you're not being logical is what i'm saying this is like an orgasm in a cup Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on,

00:03:44 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 5:

We'll be right back.

00:04:14 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 8:

Wow, Shannon, you actually said that Rihanna was going to start with this.

00:04:22 - 00:04:36 | Speaker 9:

Well, okay, I have to be fair. I actually said she was going to start with Run This Town. I said, wouldn't it be funny if she started with this song? I was joking, but I couldn't believe it when she came out. She did. I was like, no way.

00:04:36 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 7:

There's no way she's doing it. She must have had a bet with somebody herself and was going to make a million dollars doing it. Because nobody thought she'd be able to pull that song off. Yeah, that was awesome. Rihanna and the big surprise last night. Everybody. Is she pregnant? Nobody wanted to say because she.

00:05:00 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 1:

had just had a baby in May. Now she's having Irish twins.

00:05:05 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

00:05:06 - 00:05:07 | Speaker 1:

Isn't that amazing?

00:05:08 - 00:05:14 | Speaker 3:

She's insane. You know what? Get it all done at once. Make it easier on yourself.

00:05:15 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 5:

The best meme was everybody saying, now we know why he's called ASAP. I know.

00:05:18 - 00:05:32 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and I am so happy for her. So happy. But as a fan, I am so pissed off that that means we are not getting another album and we are not getting a tour. Yeah. But, like, also, good for you. Yeah.

00:05:35 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that blew up, by the way, so fast. It was unbelievable. Honestly, that game was a very cool game. It was a close game and then controversial at the end. We'll talk about that. I think that Rihanna's halftime was amazing. Could probably be one of the best halftimes that has been performed. The commercials sucked. I thought the commercials were just weak, you know.

00:05:58 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 3:

We've gotten to the point, though, and we have over the past couple of years where everybody's trying too hard. Yeah. Don't you think?

00:06:04 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:06:05 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 3:

Like, I actually thought one of the best commercials was the Blue Moon commercial, and I was like, meh. You did? Yeah, because I didn't expect that, and so I was like, oh, okay, this is probably the only one I'll remember, and then the Donkey Donuts with Ben Affleck because we had talked about it.

00:06:17 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 2:

That one, too, and the Tubi one where I thought it changed the channel on me. Yeah.

00:06:21 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 5:

Where every dad was mad. Everybody was looking at the dad in the room like, what are you doing? Don't touch the remote.

00:06:26 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 1:

I'll be honest with you. You know, it's funny. None of them kept my attention The only ones that really kept my attention Jesus kept my attention For some reason every time the Jesus commercials came on I was like what is this

00:06:37 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 3:

It was Bradley Cooper's T-Mobile with his mom Oh that one was good too I did like that one

00:06:42 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 1:

I thought that the whole idea of celebrity cameos Sometimes gets a little overboard Sometimes Like some of the celebrity cameos where you're like Okay if it's not like really Really funny Nobody gives a crap

00:06:56 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 5:

Or if they're not really famous

00:06:58 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 1:

Well, unless there's somebody that's not really that famous, but they're doing something really, really funny. You know what I mean? Like, I don't know. But I thought that for the amount of money these guys spent, that's what they did. $7 million for 30 seconds. Yeah. Well, the game, Spike, I was worried about you this morning. I saw in Philadelphia that there was a lot of craziness going out on the streets. They actually said that the craziness, though, started before the game. I was watching the news this morning, and they showed they were flipping cars over before the game even started.

00:07:28 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 5:

I'm like, you guys haven't even started yet. There's too much traffic after the game. You've got to get it all before the game. Get it in.

00:07:34 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 3:

We'll talk about a lot of that in the Dirty, by the way.

00:07:36 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 1:

That was on the campus of Temple. They said that the students were just going nuts there. So how did you feel after that controversial call at the end of the game?

00:07:47 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 5:

Well, they kind of took their foot off the gas in the fourth quarter. I don't blame it all on that call, but that was a crappy... That's not something you see in the Super Bowl.

00:07:55 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 4:

to see this penalty i mean i hear what you're saying mike he's trying to run a little whip route show sell the shallow cross i know he's got that right hand i get it i just i just think in this moment i don't oh man that is a game altering penalty they were fourth down right then they had

00:08:15 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 2:

a chance to have way more time on the the clock yeah it would have probably had philly back in the end zone and philly probably could have or at least tied it well the hand on his back had no

00:08:23 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 5:

effect on his route he was not in play with that that ball and i mean he admitted later in an interview that he was holding but it's still that's not a call you see in the super bowl they

00:08:32 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 1:

lay off the especially the end of the game i told you guys though the nfl it's wwe they yeah they

00:08:39 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 5:

call up to the commissioner where where do we want this to go no they tell them before i think that

00:08:44 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 1:

the commissioner tells them i swear i don't know about that the game is in state farm arena with their number with their state farm face Mahomes playing the game and Tom Brady retires they need the new Tom Brady the new poster child of the NFL Mahomes is a perfect poster child of the NFL no offense to Jalen Hurts he's excellent he's he does a great job but he's not you know he hasn't won a Super Bowl yet and I think that Mahomes you you win a few Super Bowls and this guy's like the the the megastar I even said that on Friday that that was that was the potential and I will tell you this that uh anybody that doesn't think that uh and i'm not saying it's scripted but anybody that doesn't think that referees kind of look out like all right if there's something even close

00:09:29 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 5:

we got to make sure you know oh totally and he did win didn't you win a super bowl before he did yeah this is now his second super bowl so i thought you just said he never won no i'm saying

00:09:38 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 1:

is now jalen hurts hasn't won a super bowl yeah uh and you're right philadelphia came out in the second half and honestly took the their foot off the gas they they needed to come out uh and do a great job but tara you don't care about the game what do you care about you care about just rihanna

00:09:55 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 4:

having a baby right no i cared about the uber eats commercial that was a really good

00:10:00 - 00:10:07 | Speaker 3:

What was that, by the way? It wasn't even so much Uber Eats. It was like Uber One. What was that? I want to know what that service is.

00:10:07 - 00:10:08 | Speaker 4:

It's a subscription service now.

00:10:09 - 00:10:14 | Speaker 3:

But is it just for food or is it Uber everything? What does it work for?

00:10:14 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. It just said Uber Eats. It had P. Diddy in it. He was in the booth.

00:10:18 - 00:10:20 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. And Diddy was having to approve it.

00:10:20 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 2:

All the one-hit wonders.

00:10:21 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:10:22 - 00:10:25 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, the one-hit wonders. What does Fox say? I know.

00:10:25 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 3:

That was actually kind of funny. He didn't look like Diddy to me. He didn't look like Diddy to me either. I was like, wait, that's Diddy now? Amy, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. How are you?

00:10:37 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 1:

Hi, good. How are you guys?

00:10:38 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 3:

Good. What's happening?

00:10:40 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 1:

Did you not see the beautiful Disney commercial that was on there that didn't get you in all your fields?

00:10:47 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 3:

Which one? The we're going to Disney World one or Disney?

00:10:50 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 1:

No, it was towards the end. It was 100 years. It was 100 years.

00:10:55 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 3:

I think I missed that one. I got to be honest with you.

00:10:58 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you guys.

00:10:58 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 3:

I tuned out – normally I love the commercials, and I actually watch the commercials more than I watch the game. But they lost me so much in the beginning, in the first half of the game, that I was like, eh, whatever. So the second half, I kind of like laid low on commercials. Was it good?

00:11:15 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 1:

It was excellent. And I also don't know who was better at halftime, Rihanna, or the concert I was putting on in my living room.

00:11:23 - 00:11:35 | Speaker 3:

That's right. Yeah. Somebody was saying that I read on the internet That people were all posting that The dancers in white Were sperm

00:11:35 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 5:

Oh I heard tampons that had moisture on them Pieces of the balloon That was shot down As soon as those dancers came out I'm like oh I cannot wait for the memes That would be so good

00:11:47 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 3:

Because you knew people were working on it right away Mojo in the morning What's up Ella how you doing

00:11:53 - 00:11:56 | Speaker 2:

I'm good, guys. Good morning. Good morning.

00:11:56 - 00:11:56 | Speaker 3:

What's happening?

00:11:58 - 00:12:00 | Speaker 2:

So people in Philadelphia lost internet.

00:12:01 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 3:

I saw that. Yeah. Somebody actually, they say that it was, somebody went in and hacked into Xfinity, which is based out of Philadelphia. A certain area of the city lost all their TV.

00:12:16 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 4:

To watch the game.

00:12:17 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:12:18 - 00:12:29 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Trying to probably just start something. I'm in Pittsburgh. So my friends over here were all worried, like, if we lose the Internet here, we're going to riot. And I'm like, okay, guys.

00:12:29 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 3:

The worst night to ever have a down, you know, anything happen to you, right? Wi-Fi or Internet or, you know, TV service.

00:12:40 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 2:

Well, I started thinking of you guys potentially sharing your Internet password. That's right. Or wherever you were going to watch it.

00:12:47 - 00:12:49 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, Mike, what did Mike do?

00:12:49 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 4:

Mike, what did you do? So I couldn't figure – it's going to sound so bad. I had a YouTube TV login thanks to a listener, John, and I couldn't figure it out. I kept getting streams. So I ended up getting an Amazon Fire Stick download, allegedly, to use really quick. Like an illegal one? I don't think it's illegal.

00:13:11 - 00:13:11 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:13:12 - 00:13:14 | Speaker 4:

As long as you don't think so. Yeah, I don't know.

00:13:15 - 00:13:19 | Speaker 3:

As long as somebody's paying the bill, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Was it good?

00:13:20 - 00:13:22 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yes, so it has all these different channels on it

00:13:22 - 00:13:25 | Speaker 3:

Did you turn over to the porn networks?

00:13:26 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 4:

No, I did have them

00:13:27 - 00:13:30 | Speaker 3:

I did have the nudies Did it, really?

00:13:30 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah, yeah

00:13:31 - 00:13:33 | Speaker 3:

You gotta take that off? So is it a fire stick?

00:13:34 - 00:13:46 | Speaker 4:

So it's a fire stick, but then it's like a downloader thing that you put on it And then you download some app And the app has all these different TV channels from all over the country or whatever So I got like Fox News, but it was like Cincinnati's Fox News

00:13:46 - 00:14:00 | Speaker 3:

So what happens, Mike, if your kids want to watch, like, I don't know, what do they watch on TV? What's their favorite? Paw Patrol or Bluey. Yeah, what if they go to watch Bluey and your nudie stuff comes on there?

00:14:00 - 00:14:09 | Speaker 4:

So it's on the fire stick, so they don't watch it on there. I'll take that off. I'll take that off. I only put it on the TV for the Super Bowl. Otherwise, I keep the PS4 on it. Okay. They watch on that.

00:14:09 - 00:14:20 | Speaker 3:

All right. Ella, thank you for the call. Thanks for the update. People in Pittsburgh, they love that Philadelphia lost, right? Do they hate the Eagles that much that they would root against somebody in their own state?

00:14:21 - 00:14:28 | Speaker 2:

No, they were actually rooting for Philadelphia because they were like, you know, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, we've got to stick together.

00:14:29 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 3:

And the Chiefs are in the AFC, so they probably root against whatever team in the AFC.

00:14:35 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I was rooting for the Chiefs, so they were like, really, I was like, fine, I'll root for whoever. You know, I'm not originally from here anyway, so.

00:14:41 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 3:

I saw Vegas actually came out with their odds for next year. They do it right after the game. And the Chiefs are favored to win the Super Bowl. But did you see the Lions are in the top, like, seven teams? So they got the Lions definitely making playoffs, Vegas does, and potentially.

00:15:00 - 00:15:09 | Speaker 4:

doing well, because that's actually a pretty good spot. They're way ahead of a lot of other teams, like Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers and all the other teams that are there.

00:15:10 - 00:15:19 | Speaker 2:

I actually wish the Lions would go. I'm originally from Florida, but I wanted the Lions to go so bad. I'm rooting for you guys. I told Chelsea

00:15:19 - 00:15:36 | Speaker 4:

that I saw the price of the tickets for this thing, and some people from Philadelphia and Kansas City, they said spent like $45,000 to go out there for the weekend. And I said, if the Lions got in, I mean, you'd have to say that you'd want to go out.

00:15:37 - 00:15:38 | Speaker 6:

Normal people can't spend that.

00:15:38 - 00:15:38 | Speaker 4:

No.

00:15:38 - 00:15:46 | Speaker 5:

Plus, when you're there, you can't see and hear the game. You don't want to be there if you really want to see the game. You want to be watching TV.

00:15:46 - 00:16:01 | Speaker 4:

They did a news story about some guys in Philadelphia that thought that the Eagles were going to have a good season. So they did a home equity loan on their house and pulled money out of their house because they had a bunch of it. And they use their home equity. Could you imagine?

00:16:01 - 00:16:01 | Speaker 1:

No.

00:16:02 - 00:16:09 | Speaker 4:

You pull $50,000 out of your house, and now you've got to pay that on your mortgage, and you're lost.

00:16:09 - 00:16:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:16:10 - 00:16:21 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that would be painful. All right. Aside from the Super Bowl, I don't know how you guys feel, but I feel like I've got a brick of nachos in my stomach right now.

00:16:21 - 00:16:29 | Speaker 6:

Me, too. I ate so much. I ate so many nachos. That's all I thought about all day yesterday. I was so excited.

00:16:29 - 00:17:03 | Speaker 4:

It was crazy. We actually, so we made nachos, Chelsea made wings, and then we actually did have friends over, so we decided, oh, you know, some friends were like, what are you doing? What are you doing? And all of a sudden, like, everybody wanted, so people brought over, you know, veggie trays and charcuterie boards and all this stuff, and then randomly, at the end of the first quarter, the doorbell rings, our ring camera goes off, and my neighbor who came ordered a bunch of pizzas, and I'm like, where did this come from? But he ordered them so early, and they didn't come until after the first quarter because Hungry Howie's was so backed up. Oh, yeah.

00:17:03 - 00:17:08 | Speaker 6:

I bought frozen pizzas just so I was prepared for the kids because they won't eat nachos.

00:17:08 - 00:17:12 | Speaker 5:

If your guest orders pizza, does that make you feel like you didn't have enough food for your guests?

00:17:13 - 00:17:56 | Speaker 4:

That's what I thought. But if it wasn't that he ordered them when they first got there, he wanted to make sure his kids had pizza because his kids don't like – they're not like nachos. They're not like appetizer-y type people. But I will have to tell you this. I wake up this morning, and I did a decent job with Chelsea of cleaning the kitchen up, but I still had the cookie sheet full of nachos. So this morning I got up and I saw it there. I'm like, oh, I got to get rid of some of these because I didn't put it in the refrigerator. And as I'm putting it and throwing it in the garbage, I'm picking off pieces and eating it. He's still eating. Oh, yeah. At 4 a.m. And I'm going, is this not a sign of a fat guy? You know what I mean? It's like when you're grabbing food that has been sitting out for that long of a period of time.

00:17:56 - 00:17:58 | Speaker 2:

You don't have any idea how heavy you are?

00:17:58 - 00:18:17 | Speaker 4:

Oh, it's like craziness. All right. We're going to get the show started. We've got a lot to talk about today, and we have a lot of chances for you to win. Taylor Swift tickets this morning. Also, Kid Leroy tickets. Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Lil Wayne, and more. How smart are you?

00:18:18 - 00:18:24 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events, and you tell us what year it happened.

00:18:24 - 00:18:29 | Speaker 4:

This was the year that Jennifer Aniston surprised everybody and got married in a secret ceremony.

00:18:29 - 00:18:42 | Speaker 1:

The biggest secret wedding ever. After a three-year engagement and constant guessing about just when they would finally tie the knot, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux made it official Wednesday night.

00:18:42 - 00:18:50 | Speaker 4:

Ariana Grande was caught licking donuts while she was buying them in California and then was recorded saying that she hates America.

00:18:50 - 00:18:58 | Speaker 6:

What the f*** is that? I hate America. And big song.

00:19:01 - 00:19:15 | Speaker 4:

He did a Super Bowl thing this weekend. I saw him, like, in the pregame show. Like at a party or something? Yeah, they had him out, like, right before the game started. You know, they do, like, pregame starting at, like, 11 a.m. What year was this? We'll set you up for the prize. Good luck.

00:19:16 - 00:19:41 | Speaker 3:

Call us and tell us what year that stuff happened. 844-MOJO-LIVE. One of these days, karma's going to catch up to Spike for all his phone scams. But laugh at it anyway. It's this morning at 6.50 on Mojo in the Morning. How good is your memory? It's Mojo in the Morning's back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:19:41 - 00:19:44 | Speaker 4:

Jennifer Aniston married in this year.

00:19:44 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 1:

The biggest secret wedding ever. After a three-year engagement and constant guessing about just when they would finally tie the knot, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux made it official Wednesday night. The Hollywood power couple getting married in the backyard.

00:20:00 - 00:20:01 | Speaker 3:

of their Bel Air home.

00:20:01 - 00:20:13 | Speaker 1:

Are they still married or they got divorced, didn't they? Am I... I believe they split up. They split up, yeah? Ariana Grande caught licking donuts at a donut shop and then saying... What the s*** is that?

00:20:13 - 00:20:16 | Unknown:

I hate you, sir. I hate you, sir.

00:20:17 - 00:20:28 | Speaker 1:

Caused some problems. And... Jason Derulo. Want to want me. What year was that, Karen?

00:20:30 - 00:20:47 | Speaker 2:

hi hi good morning what year was that is it 2015 it was yes congratulations how did you get it um team innocent for sure i do remember the donut thing though that was weird

00:20:47 - 00:20:58 | Speaker 1:

yeah um we're gonna set you up with a pair of tickets you're gonna be going to see wwe sunday stunner happening at the huntington center in toledo congratulations to you

00:20:58 - 00:20:59 | Speaker 2:

Awesome. Thank you.

00:20:59 - 00:21:02 | Speaker 1:

We'll set you up with those tickets. Have a great time. Hang on the phone for just one second.

00:21:03 - 00:21:04 | Unknown:

Awesome. Thank you.

00:21:04 - 00:21:42 | Speaker 1:

We have a chance for you to win Taylor tickets all this week. Keep listening at 630 and 930, which means that we're past 630 and I got to do it right now. So why don't you text in HERO, H-E-R-O, to 95500 for a chance to win. Text HERO to 95500. Standard text and data rates do apply. Taylor Swift coming June 9th and 10th to Ford Field. And, yes, we've got your tickets. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. But let's get to the Dirty on the 30. A lot of stuff to talk about this morning. Shannon, what's up?

00:21:42 - 00:22:12 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, well, a rep for Rihanna confirming that, yes, she is pregnant after her Super Bowl halftime performance had everybody talking about it. Isn't she? I thought so right off the bat when she came out in her red outfit. But you never want to assume, ever, ever, ever. But then she was cradling her tummy a couple of times. And so I thought, okay, dead giveaway, yes. But yes, it was confirmed by her team. She is pregnant with her second child with ASAP Rocky. Just had their first baby back in May. So, and they work real fast.

00:22:13 - 00:22:25 | Speaker 1:

I saw the people that were upset. I'm sorry, Megan, and you say your point after mine. I saw a lot of people complaining that people were speculating that she was pregnant. Saying, how dare people do that? That was horrible. That was awful. That was awful. And people getting really angry about it

00:22:25 - 00:22:30 | Speaker 4:

The way she had her outfits The continuous cradling

00:22:30 - 00:22:40 | Speaker 1:

And her rep, thank god her rep came out And said right away what was the story Because I think a lot of people then all of a sudden Felt bad about speculating that But when she rubbed her belly I thought that was when Megan what were you going to say?

00:22:41 - 00:23:19 | Speaker 3:

No I don't think she did a good enough job rubbing her belly to be honest And I think first of all it was bad editing at the beginning Because I think the announcement was supposed to be At the very beginning but the cameraman Was too zoomed in on her face And then zoomed out too quickly I also think it would have been way better if she would have kept her jumpsuit closed the whole time and then at the very end, like, unzipped it. Pulled like a Beyonce. Yes, very drastically rubbed her belly. And then I think all confusion would have been gone because a little part of me was frustrated for her because the whole performance then become, was she pregnant, was she not, instead of how great is this? And at the end, she's pregnant! You know, I felt like it could have been executed better.

00:23:20 - 00:23:44 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, well, beyond the pregnancy reveal, Her set had plenty of other highlights. There were no special guests. I know a lot of people were trying to figure out, you know, there were like two dozen people she could have brought out, but she didn't. She did have a viral moment where she touched up her makeup mid-song, giving a little shout out to Fenty, her makeup brand. The product, if you really want to know, DM me. I'll send you the link. Dumas figured out what exactly she was using.

00:23:44 - 00:23:52 | Speaker 1:

Did you see that it was trending that that was the best video game ever she was playing in the beginning of when she was on those platforms? Oh, yeah. Everybody thought she was playing Smash Brothers.

00:23:52 - 00:24:51 | Speaker 4:

Yep. By the way, some are saying the real star of this year's halftime show wasn't Rihanna. It was the American Sign Language interpreter who was signing during her performance. She was living her best life ever. She is gorgeous, by the way. Her name is Justina Miles. She's a 20-year-old nursing student. We first saw her during Cheryl Lee Ralph's moving rendition of Lift Every Voice and Sing in the pre-show. So she then appeared again during RiRi's show, becoming the first deaf woman to provide ASL interpretation during a Super Bowl halftime show, which is very, very cool. But girlfriend can dance. Rihanna was doing her thing. Justina brought her own incredible moves. And she just said she values the opportunity to make it possible for all deaf people to not miss out on the full Super Bowl experience. And then, real quick, did you guys see that Chris Brown congratulated his ex, Rihanna, after her performance? On his Instagram, Chris wrote alongside a red heart and praying hands emoji, go girl.

00:24:52 - 00:24:54 | Speaker 1:

We've talked before. They're still friends. They still talk.

00:24:55 - 00:25:00 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah. Eagles fans in Philly took to the streets after the...

00:25:00 - 00:25:39 | Speaker 2:

lost to the Kansas City Chiefs last night. A sea of green marching down one street, banging drums and screaming at the Chiefs. Fans let out fireworks. They climbed to the greased poles. Philadelphia police did issue warnings to fans to disperse as the crowd started to get rowdier. But all in all, I don't think things got too out of hand. Not too bad, no. I mean, I didn't see, like, horrible things. But, okay. Over the weekend, Harry Styles collected the Artist of the Year Award at the Brits 2023. And after being dragged for his Grammy speech for saying that this sort of thing doesn't happen to people like me very often, changed his tune a little bit in his speech this time around.

00:25:40 - 00:25:52 | Speaker 1:

I want to thank my mom for signing me up for X Factor without telling me. So I literally wouldn't be here without you. I want to thank Niall, Louie, Liam, and Zhang because I wouldn't be here without you either.

00:25:52 - 00:25:53 | Unknown:

Thank you so much.

00:25:53 - 00:26:01 | Speaker 1:

And I'm really, really grateful for this, and I'm very aware of my privilege up here tonight. Thank you so much.

00:26:01 - 00:26:03 | Speaker 5:

Oh, talking right to him.

00:26:04 - 00:26:37 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, Penn Bagley said he asked for fewer sex scenes in the latest season of the Netflix series, You. He said he made that decision out of respect for his wife, Domino Kirk. Speaking on the Podcrushed podcast, he said he asked the show's co-creator for no more intimacy scenes for his character, Joe Goldberg. And he got his way. And he said fidelity in every relationship, including his marriage, is just super important to him. That's why he did it. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on mojointhemorning.com.

00:26:37 - 00:26:43 | Speaker 3:

Let's go! Mojo in the mornings, Dirty on the 30. And another world-famous phone scam is next.

00:26:48 - 00:27:29 | Speaker 5:

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. was talking to a friend that works at a florist who said today is like the number one day where people are like oh spit i forgot valentine's day at the flower uh the florist um and said that there will be a record as far as the amount of flowers ordered this year they think that valentine's day is going to have a really big one for them but uh this is one of my favorites when Spike called and phone scammed the florist not looking for loving flowers, but maybe some breakup flowers. It's a Mojo in the Morning phone scam. You're home with the phone scams. This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:27:31 - 00:27:44 | Speaker 4:

Good afternoon. Good to help you. Yeah, how you doing? Good. Good. You open for business? Of course we are. Because I need some business taken care of. All right, I can do that. All right. You got any specials on roses?

00:27:45 - 00:27:50 | Speaker 3:

We always have a special on roses. We have the most fabulous roses in town. Are you picking them up or having them delivered?

00:27:50 - 00:28:00 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no, I need them delivered. I don't want to see the lady no more. Oh, well, then what are you sending her flowers for? Well, here's the thing. I want you to put on the card, I hope you f***ing die, you cheating b***h.

00:28:02 - 00:28:05 | Speaker 3:

I don't think I'm going to put that on anybody's card. We don't swear on cards.

00:28:05 - 00:28:06 | Speaker 4:

You're going to turn down my business?

00:28:07 - 00:28:10 | Speaker 3:

I won't turn down your business, but I'm not going to swear on a card.

00:28:10 - 00:28:11 | Speaker 4:

Oh, okay, I see.

00:28:11 - 00:28:12 | Speaker 3:

We have a lot of Christians working in here.

00:28:13 - 00:28:15 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I apologize then there.

00:28:15 - 00:28:15 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's not good.

00:28:15 - 00:28:18 | Speaker 4:

All right, how about just, I hope you die, die, die?

00:28:18 - 00:28:19 | Speaker 3:

No, I can't say that either. No?

00:28:19 - 00:28:22 | Speaker 4:

I can't wish any, no. Well, I'm not swearing to nobody.

00:28:22 - 00:28:24 | Speaker 3:

No, I know, but that's next to a death threat.

00:28:24 - 00:28:28 | Speaker 4:

You know, she's a lousy no-good broad. She's been up to no good.

00:28:28 - 00:28:34 | Speaker 3:

Well, then probably just send her flowers and just say good luck with your new boyfriend.

00:28:34 - 00:28:38 | Speaker 4:

What if we did something that wasn't so nasty? Maybe like, your feet stink.

00:28:39 - 00:28:40 | Speaker 3:

I'll do your feet stink.

00:28:40 - 00:28:47 | Speaker 4:

Okay. And how about, like, your feet stink, I don't want to see you no more, and I hope you trip down some stairs.

00:28:47 - 00:28:48 | Speaker 3:

No, I'm not going to do anything threatening.

00:28:48 - 00:28:51 | Speaker 4:

Do you have, like, some black, like, dead flowers you can send her?

00:28:52 - 00:28:55 | Speaker 3:

No. All my stuff is fresh and beautiful. Really? Yeah.

00:28:55 - 00:28:58 | Speaker 4:

What if you were to put it in the oven or something, make it all crusty and moldy?

00:28:58 - 00:29:00 | Speaker 3:

Well, I could do that, but you're going to pay for fresh.

00:29:00 - 00:29:01 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I'll pay.

00:29:02 - 00:29:02 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:29:02 - 00:29:05 | Speaker 4:

I'll pay, because this lady, she needs to be taught a lesson.

00:29:05 - 00:29:07 | Speaker 3:

So one dozen dead roses.

00:29:07 - 00:29:08 | Speaker 4:

Dead is a doornail.

00:29:09 - 00:29:09 | Speaker 3:

Microwaved.

00:29:10 - 00:29:12 | Speaker 4:

And make sure you underline s**t too.

00:29:12 - 00:29:14 | Speaker 3:

I'm not going to say swear. Okay.

00:29:14 - 00:29:19 | Speaker 4:

Maybe just all in capitals you could just say, you know, your feet stink, nobody likes you.

00:29:19 - 00:29:22 | Speaker 3:

I'm just putting your feet stink, I don't want to see you anymore.

00:29:22 - 00:29:24 | Speaker 4:

What else could I put that would be real meaning?

00:29:24 - 00:29:28 | Speaker 3:

Sign your name, that's all you can do, it'll be, what can I say?

00:29:28 - 00:29:31 | Speaker 4:

Needs something, a little, needs a little pepper on the pitosh.

00:29:31 - 00:29:35 | Speaker 3:

Well, I can't, you'll have to call her and tell her that yourself. I can't get in the middle of your domestic here.

00:29:35 - 00:29:36 | Speaker 4:

Oh boy, I'm at the end of my rope here.

00:30:13 - 00:30:14 | Speaker 2:

00:30:16 - 00:30:20 | Speaker 1:

Everybody at your work wants to say Happy Valentine's Day, and they wanted to do it with a phone scam.

00:30:24 - 00:30:29 | Speaker 3:

Bobby, the guy who wanted to swear, I wouldn't let him swear at the phone scam, and you really had me.

00:30:30 - 00:30:34 | Speaker 2:

You have a happy f***ing Valentine's Day.

00:30:36 - 00:30:43 | Speaker 3:

We will, we will scam you. Hello? You're home with the phone scams.

00:30:43 - 00:30:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, hi there, sir. This is Philip Rippin' Clipper. It's Nick's shoemate from the b***ing apartment complex.

00:30:47 - 00:30:54 | Speaker 3:

Jeffrey Anthony from Greg Murray Appraising. What? This is Mojo in the Morning. It's Mojo in the Morning's 5 at 6.55.

00:31:21 - 00:31:22 | Speaker 2:

00:31:22 - 00:31:23 | Speaker 1:

Hey. Holly, say hi to Stephanie.

00:31:24 - 00:31:27 | Speaker 2:

Good morning, Stephanie. Good morning, Holly.

00:31:27 - 00:31:39 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to lock you up in a soundproof area, Holly, and we're going to start this contest, okay? Five pop culture trivia questions. Whoever gets the most right wins. Ty always goes to the champion. Stephanie, hope you had a good weekend too.

00:31:39 - 00:31:40 | Speaker 2:

I did.

00:31:40 - 00:31:42 | Speaker 1:

I got a little Super Bowl hangover going right now.

00:31:42 - 00:31:43 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:31:44 - 00:32:20 | Speaker 1:

Question number one. Rihanna had an incredible performance at the halftime during the Super Bowl yesterday. I want you to just finish the lyric for me to one of the songs that she did last night. Shine bright like a... Diamond. Question number two, social media revealed that Blake Lively and her husband had their fourth baby recently. Who is Blake's actor husband? Ryan Reynolds. Question number three, Cardi B and Offset debuted a new meal for which fast food chain in an ad during the Super Bowl last night?

00:32:21 - 00:32:22 | Speaker 2:

McDonald's.

00:32:22 - 00:32:53 | Speaker 1:

Question number four, actress Megan Fox has deleted her Instagram in the wake of rumors that there is trouble in her relationship with this, my ex's best friend singer. Machine Gun Kelly. And question number five, Sam Smith and Kim Petras' controversial Grammy performance triggered dozens of FCC complaints. What song did they perform together? Holy. Let's bring the champ back from a soundproof area. How did Stephanie do?

00:32:54 - 00:32:55 | Speaker 2:

Not too bad. She got four out of five.

00:32:56 - 00:33:16 | Speaker 1:

Four out of five. And actually, she's going to kick herself. She could have got five out of five. Holly, we start off easy with this one. Are you ready? I'm ready. Question number one. Rihanna was incredible during the halftime performance last night at the Super Bowl. Finish the lyric to one of the songs that she did last night. Shine bright like a...

00:33:16 - 00:33:18 | Speaker 2:

Diamond. Yes. Of course, one to one.

00:33:18 - 00:33:26 | Speaker 1:

In question two, social media revealed that Blake Lively and her husband had their fourth baby recently. Who is Blake's actor husband?

00:33:27 - 00:33:29 | Speaker 2:

Ryan Reynolds. Yes. Two to two.

00:33:29 - 00:33:37 | Speaker 1:

Question three, Cardi B and Offset debuted a new meal for which fast food chain in an ad during last night's Super Bowl?

00:33:38 - 00:33:40 | Speaker 3:

McDonald's. Yep. Three to three.

00:33:40 - 00:33:55 | Speaker 1:

She's got to miss these next two, Stephanie. I don't think she's going to, but we'll see. Uh, question number four, actress Megan Fox has deleted her Instagram in the wake of rumors that there's trouble in her relationship with this, my ex's best friend singer.

00:33:56 - 00:33:57 | Speaker 2:

Machine Gun Callie.

00:33:58 - 00:35:00 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Four to four. And the question that Stephanie got wrong, Sam Smith and Kim Petras' controversial Grammy performance triggered dozens of FCC complaints. What song did they perform together? uh oh three seconds body shop oh man both you guys missed it unholy actually stephanie said holy and you just said the lyrics to the song we got a uh a win for you third win in a row with a It's high. 44. 00:35:09 - 00:35:12 | Speaker 4:

Awesome. Thank you. Thank you so much.

00:35:12 - 00:35:14 | Speaker 2:

Have a great day, and we'll see you tomorrow,

00:35:14 - 00:35:17 | Speaker 1:

Holly. It's Mojo in the Mornings 5 at 6.55.

00:35:20 - 00:36:02 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning. That's all you talked about, right? Last night was Rihanna's pregnant. It was the Is She or Is She Not? And then we found out that she was, and we had it for you up on our social media. Great job, KP, on that, making sure that we got the statement right from Rihanna's people and kept you guys up to date. But they call them Irish twins, which is funny because I was talking to my wife about that because I've always heard her use that phrase, Irish twins, because our old babysitter had Irish twins. Candace did. Candace had babies within a year of each other. Yeah. I don't know what it meant. You put it in the group chat, and I didn't know. I had no idea what it meant. Yeah.

00:36:02 - 00:36:03 | Speaker 4:

Who are my uncles?

00:36:03 - 00:36:27 | Speaker 2:

They're Irish twins? Mm-hmm. I'd love to know if there are any listeners of ours that were moms to Irish twins that they want to check in with us and tell us, because is it planned? I don't know if necessarily it always is planned, but I just think it's really interesting because the last thing in the world my wife Chelsea ever wanted to do after she gave birth to a baby was have me touch her for a while. You know what I mean?

00:36:27 - 00:36:35 | Speaker 5:

Well, and a lot of women don't realize that you are, like, especially fertile in those first couple of months, too.

00:36:35 - 00:36:43 | Speaker 2:

We don't know, like, the extent, but from looking at Rihanna last night at the halftime.

00:36:43 - 00:36:46 | Speaker 1:

She did not follow the pediatrician's guide for two months. Pause.

00:36:48 - 00:37:26 | Speaker 2:

And she's got a beautiful bump. So it's, I don't know. I wonder how far along she is. So she had the baby the, what is it, like May of 2022. Yep. So, and we have no idea how far along she is, but we only can assume that, you know, that everything's good. She's healthy because she was out there doing the Super Bowl. I thought that was, by the way, a power moment for any woman that, you know, going to work every single day while they're going through their pregnancy and, you know, taking their pregnancy all the way through till, you know, they're taking their maternity leave.

00:37:27 - 00:37:32 | Speaker 1:

I remember on media day in the Super Bowl, she did tease. I will have a special guest. Now we know who the special guest is. Exactly.

00:37:32 - 00:37:37 | Speaker 2:

Oh, gosh. I didn't think about that. She kept putting it out there like I'm doing this performance for motherhood.

00:37:38 - 00:37:46 | Speaker 5:

There's something else, by the way, and we'll talk about this in The Dirty, during that press conference that she did that was a big hint that I don't know if a lot of people caught on to.

00:37:46 - 00:37:53 | Speaker 2:

Patricia, what's going on? How you doing? Good. How are you? Good. You had Irish twins? I did. That's wild.

00:37:53 - 00:37:58 | Speaker 3:

Planned or unplanned? Unplanned. Well, the first one was planned, but the second one wasn't.

00:37:59 - 00:38:11 | Speaker 2:

Really? What was your thought when your doctor or you started feeling interesting and you said you were going to take a test and you found out you were pregnant um i was scared

00:38:11 - 00:38:17 | Speaker 3:

yeah baby and then another one like two yeah like how am i going to take care of

00:38:17 - 00:38:25 | Speaker 2:

two babies right away yeah they're a year apart that is so wild unbelievable 17 now well the my

00:38:25 - 00:38:33 | Speaker 3:

my 15 will be 16 years in next month and do you have just the two um no i got a 23 year old oh

00:38:33 - 00:38:37 | Speaker 2:

Oh, so you actually had an older one, and then was it a second marriage?

00:38:39 - 00:38:41 | Speaker 3:

It wasn't a marriage, but yeah.

00:38:41 - 00:38:42 | Speaker 2:

Or a second relationship?

00:38:43 - 00:38:51 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and my husband now, he has a son that's 23, so he has two 23-year-olds and 16th and 17th.

00:38:51 - 00:38:54 | Speaker 2:

Let me guess, he got snipped afterwards. Did you snip him?

00:38:54 - 00:38:58 | Speaker 3:

We both did. I'm not taking any chances.

00:38:59 - 00:39:01 | Speaker 2:

Don't even look at me.

00:39:02 - 00:39:04 | Speaker 3:

My father was like, dang, you're fertile.

00:39:04 - 00:39:11 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh, yes. Nikki, hi. How you doing? Good morning. You pulled the Rihanna?

00:39:12 - 00:39:34 | Speaker 4:

I did. I did. I have two. We're my oldest, too. They're 24 and 25, but they're the same age for, like, two weeks. So one is August 29th. That's my oldest. And the other one is August 11th So, yeah

00:39:34 - 00:39:37 | Speaker 2:

Did the people at the hospital say We just saw you here

00:39:37 - 00:39:52 | Speaker 4:

No No, but my doctor was like Didn't I tell you to wait six weeks And I just kind of looked at him I thought he was BSing me I thought he was lying And he said no Like, we're going to do this again

00:39:52 - 00:39:58 | Speaker 1:

I like when people think doctors are joking Like, what part of being a doctor Is like, eh, I thought you were BSing me You know what's wild?

00:39:58 - 00:40:29 | Speaker 4:

Well, that was my idea Thank you.

00:40:00 - 00:40:06 | Speaker 1:

That's my doctor's personality That was his personality So I really thought he was messing with me But no

00:40:06 - 00:40:13 | Speaker 3:

Friends of ours said that they were so horny After they gave birth Which is interesting I would agree with that

00:40:13 - 00:40:29 | Speaker 2:

Not right after Any pregnant women listening right now That are really angry at Rihanna Because she pretty much made it impossible To use being pregnant as an excuse to get out of something She performed Half time pregnant You can't say it I can't do it.

00:40:29 - 00:40:41 | Speaker 3:

That was intense. Brittany, this is wild. We're talking to some moms who, like Rihanna, had a baby and then got pregnant and had another baby within a year. You had this?

00:40:44 - 00:40:44 | Speaker 1:

Me?

00:40:45 - 00:40:45 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, Brittany.

00:40:46 - 00:41:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah. So I had a baby in April 13th, went back to my six-week checkup. I was pregnant again, so I had another one in March of 14. And then I got pregnant again in the summer of 15. Had my baby in 2016 of February and had another one in 17. Oh, my God. So you had two years.

00:41:14 - 00:41:16 | Speaker 2:

So you were pregnant for like four years straight. Yeah.

00:41:16 - 00:41:32 | Speaker 1:

Three years straight. All my kids are basically four years apart. Two of them, my two oldest Are the same age for about Three weeks Two and a half, three weeks And then my two youngest are the same age For three weeks

00:41:32 - 00:41:38 | Speaker 3:

And like I just told One of our previous listeners Did you guys snip it right afterwards After the second set?

00:41:38 - 00:41:45 | Speaker 1:

No, neither one of us did But I got on birth control after the second The second set, my fourth one

00:41:45 - 00:41:47 | Speaker 3:

So, yeah

00:41:47 - 00:41:47 | Speaker 1:

Nope

00:41:47 - 00:41:51 | Speaker 3:

That is so cool My wife just texted me, vasectomy now

00:41:51 - 00:41:57 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's a lot, but it's fun

00:41:57 - 00:42:34 | Speaker 3:

It's funny because You find out that you're having a baby You're excited, then a lot of people will get worried They're going to have twins This is another one of those ones Where it's like, if this happens to you It sounds like none of the callers That we've talked to so far plan this Like nobody goes and plans this I wonder if Rihanna's was just also a surprise, too. I wonder if we'll find out more about that. I hope she comes out and does some interviews. I know she's very busy, and she was preparing for that, so I thought that that was pretty cool. I thought it was wild. You know, they said that Jay-Z was there, and I don't know. Did you see the pictures of Jay-Z with Blue Ivy there? I can't believe how old Blue

00:42:34 - 00:42:36 | Speaker 2:

Ivy looks. Oh, my gosh. I know.

00:42:36 - 00:42:42 | Speaker 3:

She's all grown up. Yeah. It's wild. But I thought for sure he was coming up on stage, like at the end when they did Run

00:42:42 - 00:43:05 | Speaker 2:

This Town. I did, too. Well, all her collaborators were in town basically drake was there paul mccartney was there so everybody was speculating on who was going to pop out on stage i don't think anybody had a pregnant rihanna but i was thinking like she committed to this in late august or early september and so it's possible she was not pregnant when she decided to do the super bowl yeah and then got pregnant was like oh

00:43:05 - 00:43:36 | Speaker 3:

okay guess we're doing this um we're gonna get ratings coming in here in a second from last night's Super Bowl, and we'll get them for you in a little bit, but I'm going to suspect that this might have been one of the biggest and highest-rated Super Bowls because they say the attendance in Phoenix was the highest attendance that they've had for Super Bowl events because they had not only the Super Bowl, but they also had that Waste Management Open, which is that rowdy golf tournament that goes on. All right, Mojo in the Morning Show. Spike Scams at 7.50 this morning,

00:43:36 - 00:43:40 | Speaker 2:

but first, coming up in less than 15 minutes on Mojo in the Morning, you'll hear this.

00:43:40 - 00:43:50 | Speaker 3:

Oh my God, stick around for this because Next on the Mojo in the Morning show Shannon got her cards read And they weren't great You'll talk about that coming up

00:43:50 - 00:43:52 | Speaker 1:

Really nice by the way

00:43:52 - 00:43:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah I'm sorry

00:43:54 - 00:43:55 | Speaker 1:

They were horrible

00:43:55 - 00:44:22 | Speaker 3:

And did you guys hear that They shot down a couple more Of these unidentified Balloons or objects in the sky And one of them was over Michigan Or over Lake Huron In just a little bit We talk and go directly to Washington and one of our state reps or our U.S. reps who knows all the details about what that was. We'll get details for you, and you'll hear it next.

00:44:23 - 00:44:35 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning on iHeartRadio. iHeartRadio! Huge egos. I mean, huge ratings in Detroit, Grand Rapids, Muskegon, and Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:44:42 - 00:45:22 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning Show I'm always shocked when You go to a psychic or somebody that is a card reader, and this happens to you, which happened to Shannon, because I always thought that the whole idea was to not tell you stuff like this, like to make it seem like everything's going to be the greatest, but you went to a tarot card reader.

00:45:22 - 00:45:24 | Speaker 1:

Well, no. No, no, no.

00:45:24 - 00:45:26 | Speaker 3:

Or you had your cards read by somebody?

00:45:26 - 00:47:33 | Speaker 1:

So a bunch of my girlfriends and I got together on Friday night to celebrate my friend Ashley's birthday. And so we were just hanging out at somebody's house. We ordered in food. We ordered mezza. You know how much I love my mezza. And just kind of like Middle Eastern food for those who don't know what it is. Oh, my gosh. It's so good. Just hung out and had some drinks and sat by the fire and caught up with each other. and my girlfriend whose house we were at, Carrie, said, oh my gosh, you guys, I just got these cards. And I don't even know if they're actually tarot cards, but they were cards that looked like a deck of cards. But then they had little photos on them, so I guess they're tarot cards. I don't really, to be honest with you, believe in psychics or mediums or tarot cards. It's kind of, I don't know, a weird thing when you believe in Jesus and then you've got all that stuff. I don't know how I feel about it. Anyway. It's playing with the devil. It's playing with the devil. We talked about this a little bit last week in the podcast, but so she whips out these cards nobody wants to do it so I'm like oh whatever I'll I'll do it and she kept telling me they're all good they're all good it's a it's like a good deck of cards it's all gonna be good stuff okay they were horrible you guys so I think she had three rows of three maybe or three rows of four I don't even know whatever she did okay she starts flipping over the cards and it's like your love life is gonna turn tumultuous okay it was one of the cards I'm like I just freaking got engaged not the card I want to see another one um something about like my health going downhill okay sorry I got psychic music here thank you another one about how I'm going to die an early death oh my god i would buy a new set of cards it was like every and so she's like okay well this this is not going as planned you know what this is like playing uno and never getting an opportunity to win she flips over the fourth one and it's like essentially something's going downhill with my finances and i'm gonna lose all my money at this point you're probably

00:47:33 - 00:47:36 | Speaker 2:

regretting ever deciding

00:47:36 - 00:47:39 | Speaker 1:

to do it. I was like chugging my drink as she kept going. Were people

00:47:39 - 00:47:42 | Speaker 3:

that were pulling ahead of you or were you the first one?

00:47:43 - 00:47:49 | Speaker 1:

She went first and then I was the first one. How was her cards? Hers were great.

00:47:50 - 00:47:51 | Speaker 3:

Oh, she took all the good ones. Hers were great.

00:47:52 - 00:48:01 | Speaker 1:

Mine, I'm gonna die tomorrow. And so after I went, nobody else wanted to go because they all want to live and keep their money and their husbands.

00:48:01 - 00:48:25 | Speaker 3:

and keep their children safe and healthy mine were so horrific you know what it is is you that you guys were playing with your own deck because if you were playing in there was a tarot reader like you know sometimes you'll see like these people that have like these roadside places or they actually go to parties and do parties yeah i never have known any of them to say bad things

00:48:25 - 00:48:35 | Speaker 2:

well because they want your repeat business they want you to come back you got to be reassured you You want to know things are going to be good. This obviously is a friend who's not worried about having Shannon pay for repeat visits.

00:48:35 - 00:48:38 | Speaker 3:

Well, this is actually just the deck of cards from what I'm understanding, right?

00:48:38 - 00:48:39 | Speaker 1:

Yes, yes.

00:48:39 - 00:48:46 | Speaker 3:

Maybe she did not know how to pull them. Maybe you're supposed to go, you know, one, two, three, buckle my shoe or something like that.

00:48:46 - 00:48:55 | Speaker 4:

I feel like those, even if they pull out one that looks like it should be bad, the ones on the side of the road would still flip it somehow and make it good, even though it is a bad card.

00:48:55 - 00:49:01 | Speaker 1:

Oh, there was no denying that this was death and destruction.

00:49:02 - 00:49:28 | Speaker 3:

Which one bothered you the most? Because it's weird. The losing my money thing would be the one thing that would bother me. Over death? Really? Yes. Over relationship? I'd rather die. Well, yes. And no offense to my wife who could be listening right now. But I don't want to have to like, you know, I worked very, very hard, you know. And I feel like the economy is already sucking right now as it is. I would believe that one, probably. That and the health issues.

00:49:28 - 00:49:30 | Speaker 2:

For Shannon, I think the relationship of you just got engaged.

00:49:30 - 00:49:53 | Speaker 1:

I just got engaged. I think it said the word, because there were little paragraphs on it, it said the word tumultuous. Oh, tumultuous. Well, that's not freaking good. And also, you guys know this, I haven't talked about this much on the air, and I will in the next couple of weeks, but I'm having a little health scare. So to see that card flipped over, I was like, oh no. Like my gut actually, you know, it was not good.

00:49:53 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 3:

Like you said, and like, you know, my pastor friends would say, don't play.

00:50:00 - 00:50:09 | Speaker 4:

with it oh as soon as i did it i was like this is bad this is bad i knew i shouldn't have done it in my head i was telling myself and then all yeah and then all those jesus commercials were

00:50:09 - 00:50:13 | Speaker 2:

on television yesterday during the super bowl speaking to you aimed right to me what's going

00:50:13 - 00:50:26 | Speaker 1:

on tiffany hello hi shannon i just or hi guys i wanted to tell you shannon that that is a terrible deck like i've never heard of such a thing and i read for people for a living um like it's

00:50:26 - 00:50:32 | Speaker 3:

literally what I do so they all have the same cards in them so how can you say it's a terrible deck

00:50:32 - 00:50:39 | Speaker 1:

because you what type of deck would tell somebody they're gonna die or an early death

00:50:39 - 00:50:47 | Speaker 3:

so we only believe in fortune telling if it's good no hang on I took a picture I'm trying to

00:50:47 - 00:51:03 | Speaker 1:

look at the rest of my cards yeah I don't tell people what they want to hear I tell people that they're getting cheated on, that they need to leave situations all the time, but I'm never going to be like, oh, you're going to die tomorrow. That's absurd. And I don't like that deck. I'm going to be honest. You need to pick a new one.

00:51:03 - 00:51:04 | Speaker 3:

Shannon doesn't like it either.

00:51:06 - 00:51:12 | Speaker 4:

I told her I was like, throw that right in that fireplace right there. She did mine.

00:51:12 - 00:51:16 | Speaker 2:

Can you read Shannon since you say you're a psychic? Do you know?

00:51:17 - 00:51:26 | Speaker 1:

First of all, I don't say I am. I am literally an intuitive mojo don't play me but i would love to read how am i playing you what do you mean i don't

00:51:26 - 00:51:31 | Speaker 2:

understand any of this lingo here i'm an air personality not a radio dj go ahead oh well

00:51:31 - 00:51:49 | Speaker 1:

i'm an intuitive so there's a difference between someone being a tarot reader someone that just reads cards and someone that um isn't intuitive like it is god it is spirit moving through me so the same way that a prophet is in the church. It's the exact

00:51:49 - 00:51:55 | Speaker 2:

same thing. Okay, now I feel like I'm really going to have a lightning strike me right now. I don't know. Go ahead. Read Shannon.

00:51:58 - 00:52:02 | Speaker 1:

No, not for free. What is that? Intuitive

00:52:02 - 00:52:04 | Speaker 2:

business. All right, Tiffany.

00:52:05 - 00:52:08 | Speaker 1:

I have children to take care of. Of course.

00:52:08 - 00:52:09 | Speaker 2:

Oh my God!

00:52:10 - 00:52:11 | Speaker 1:

The lights just went on!

00:52:11 - 00:52:13 | Speaker 2:

Who just did that?

00:52:13 - 00:52:15 | Speaker 4:

That's freaking funny. Hold on a second here. The lights just went out.

00:52:15 - 00:52:34 | Speaker 2:

The lights just literally. Was that you? I hate you. Oh, you. You are. That's awesome. Oh, my God. By the way, by the way, she just, KP, our producer, just flickered the lights in our studio. Shannon just peed a little. At that particular moment. Miss Cleo, we'll talk to you later. Thank you for the call. What's going on, Sandy?

00:52:35 - 00:52:35 | Speaker 4:

Hey.

00:52:36 - 00:52:37 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

00:52:37 - 00:53:06 | Speaker 4:

I think you need to get a new girlfriend. I think it's such a bad job. Well, okay. So, no, so, Sandy, I have to tell you something. So she opens the deck and spreads the cards, and I picked all my cards. So I picked all my own cards. It wasn't like she put them down and flipped them. And she just flipped them, and we were reading them. And she doesn't know what the heck she's doing. Like, we were literally just reading the cards. So it was truly terrifying. Well, don't. Don't pray for me. Open-minded. Open-minded.

00:53:08 - 00:53:11 | Speaker 2:

Hold on a second. Hold on a second. Hold on. Real quick. Hello.

00:53:12 - 00:53:12 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:53:12 - 00:53:17 | Speaker 2:

This is the psychic Mystic Mike here right now.

00:53:17 - 00:53:18 | Speaker 4:

Mystic?

00:53:18 - 00:53:29 | Speaker 2:

Mystic, yes. I also double as a male dancer at some of the clubs. And, Shannon, I would like to read you right now. Would you like me to read you?

00:53:29 - 00:53:32 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. Are you sure?

00:53:32 - 00:53:33 | Speaker 2:

I can read you.

00:53:33 - 00:53:36 | Speaker 3:

First collector Visa number.

00:53:36 - 00:54:55 | Speaker 2:

No, no, no. I'm not like that lady. That lady's a scammer. I'm a real psychic. I was the person who told you that the Kansas City Chiefs were going to win on a controversial play. Remember? On Friday? Well, Shannon, I'm going to pull the relationship card. Here's the relationship card. Oh, I'm seeing some very interesting things. I'm going to say your relationship is going to be wonderful. But the guy that you're marrying is going to realize that you are cray-cray, which, by the way, is in the card, cray-cray in the next few months. When you guys get into a big, boisterous fight and you kick in his dashboard like you did the previous guys. Okay, let's go to health. Health. Oh, health looks wonderful. You will pull through whatever medical issues that you have. The only thing is, with our insurance at iHeartRadio, you will have lots of co-pays. And finances? Facts. You will have lots of co-pays. There's your finances. Boo-ha-ha-ha-ha. Boo-ha-ha-ha-ha. Oh, my gosh. Sandy, would you like me to read you, too? No, she hung up. She hung up.

00:54:55 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 4:

Okay, people are texting that they must not have been tarot cards. They were oracle cards. I don't know what they were.

00:55:00 - 00:55:01 | Speaker 2:

I've got to ask her. Hold on.

00:55:01 - 00:55:04 | Speaker 4:

I'll report back to you. Michelle, what's up? It's Mojo on the Morning Show.

00:55:04 - 00:55:28 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. My daughter is a tarot reader. She's an intuitive, and she's an empath. And the death card isn't always about death. It's about changing of a situation or a job or something new in your life, something that maybe Shannon has anxiety. Maybe her anxiety is going to dissipate, and she's going to be happier and healthier.

00:55:29 - 00:55:29 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

00:55:29 - 00:55:40 | Speaker 2:

Okay, I like your perspective way better. The death card is not always fume and gloom. It is actually like an opening to a greater self.

00:55:40 - 00:55:45 | Speaker 4:

Of course, because if the intuitives kill off every customer, they have no one else to pay for terror card readings.

00:55:46 - 00:55:51 | Speaker 2:

Well, see, that's just that my daughter does it because she likes to help people, not because she's making money.

00:55:51 - 00:55:53 | Speaker 4:

Right, right, but does she take money?

00:55:53 - 00:55:54 | Speaker 2:

She has a gift.

00:55:54 - 00:55:56 | Speaker 4:

She has a gift of taking money.

00:55:56 - 00:56:10 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no, no. She does it to help people who are down and feeling bad about themselves, you know, honestly. But she has pulled some cards and had to tell people that, I think your relationship's not going to work out. And then she'd come home and she'd be like, Mom, Caitlin's boyfriend's totally gay.

00:56:11 - 00:56:13 | Speaker 4:

Wow, that's wild. Oh, wow.

00:56:14 - 00:56:16 | Speaker 2:

But anyway, so good luck, Shannon.

00:56:16 - 00:56:18 | Speaker 4:

Would you like to talk to Mystic Mike?

00:56:20 - 00:56:23 | Speaker 1:

People are saying Mystic Mike sounds like a Jamaican Dracula.

00:56:23 - 00:56:34 | Speaker 4:

Actually, Misfit Nicole just sent me a text and says that you sound like Count Dracula from the old commercials. All right, Mojo in the Morning show.

00:56:35 - 00:56:48 | Speaker 3:

Yep, he's a class clown, and he's about to prove it again. Spike's world-famous phone scam happens at 7.50 on Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:56:48 - 00:56:50 | Speaker 4:

All right, Shannon, what you got in this hour is Dirty on the 30.

00:56:50 - 00:56:58 | Speaker 1:

Well, they had to pull out the censors for Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelsey after the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl 57 last night.

00:56:59 - 00:57:24 | Speaker 3:

Man, I just want to thank everybody, man. Everybody on this team, man. We battled. Sorry about language. It's all right. I know your emotions. Man, one of y'all said the Chiefs were going to take it home this year. Not a single one. Feel that? Yes. It is the second Super Bowl win for Patrick Mahomes.

00:57:24 - 00:58:50 | Speaker 1:

Lots of commercials, but a stellar halftime performance from Rihanna. So if you were paying close attention during the press conference that Rihanna did on Thursday, I think it was, You might have seen the first little hint she dropped prior to the reveal that she is pregnant with baby number two during the halftime show. She accessorized her outfit for Thursday's press conference with a custom mom ring, 14-karat yellow gold, two dozen diamonds. She wore it on her left index finger. A$AP Rocky owns a similar dad ring. And, yes, one could argue that she's already a mom, so it was fine for her to be wearing. I had a baby back in May, but still it was a little Easter egg on her part of sorts. Regardless, Rihanna is back, clearly taking the Super Bowl by storm and reminding everybody what we've been missing for almost seven years now, an epic 13-minute set that was packed full of her hits. You can see the whole thing on the Dirty page at MojoinTheMorning.com if you missed it. While we're talking Super Bowl, Drake placed seven massive bets on the game and came away with a nice little profit. He wagered a total of $965,000 on butts.

00:58:50 - 00:58:50 | Speaker 4:

Did he win?

00:58:50 - 00:59:23 | Speaker 1:

Won $1.47 million, making an overall profit of $512,000, all of which came from the Chiefs winning the game. I mean, he put down $50,000 each on Mahomes and Juju Smith-Schuster scoring the Chiefs' first touchdown, but the same amount on the Chiefs winning both halves. He wagered $30,000 on the Chiefs winning the first quarter, put down $25,000 that Travis Kelsey would be named Super Bowl MVP, and $60,000 that the MVP would be a tight end, among a bunch of other bets that he did. But, I mean.

00:59:24 - 00:59:32 | Speaker 4:

Good for him. Yeah. Wow. Okay. I won $150. I know. You came in and said that this morning. Thank you. Come on.

00:59:32 - 01:01:31 | Speaker 1:

That's great. Is Megan Fox hinting that there is trouble in paradise with Machine Gun Kelly? In a since-deleted Instagram post, she wrote alongside some super hot photos of herself, by the way. You can taste the dishonesty. It's all over your breath, and it appears she's burning something. Well, the quote is from Beyonce's Pray You Catch Me song from her Lemonade album. And, of course, that album is all about Jay-Z cheating on her. She also... responded to rumors that MGK cheated on her, specifically with guitarist Sophie Lloyd. I saw on the comments by Celebrity's Instagram, she responded to a comment about a theory of Sophie and MGK cheating with each other, writing, maybe I got with Sophie, alongside a little flame emoji. And then she unfollowed everybody except for three people, Timothee Chalamet, Harry Styles, and Eminem. And the Eminem one is interesting because Eminem beefs with MGK, or at least he has in the past. So Megan Fox, MGK got engaged in January of last year. Now I am hearing from a few sources that they are still very much together and she's just trolling people right now for fun. I don't know why she would do that, but that's just what I'm hearing, so we'll see. Blake Lively has given birth to her fourth child with Ryan Reynolds. Their newest little one joins big sisters James, Inez, and Betty. Blake posted a photo over the weekend on Instagram, and her baby bump was gone, so everybody knew she must have already had the baby. They have yet to share a name or a photo of the baby. And every year, the Minnesota Department of Transportation holds a name a snowplow contest. I love the answers every year. This year's winners included Lizzo, who, by the way, lived in Minneapolis after college, and she was so excited that this happened to her. She posted a cute little video to talk about it.

01:01:34 - 01:01:45 | Speaker 3:

Do you have the Lizzo clip? I was queuing up a song here. Lizzo clip, I apologize. It's okay. Stand by, stand by. Here we go.

01:01:45 - 01:02:02 | Speaker 4:

Of all the awards I have received, this by far is the highest honor. to know that there is a snowplow named Blizzo that is clearing the streets of the Twin Cities right now makes my heart melt.

01:02:03 - 01:02:12 | Speaker 1:

Better Call Salt is another one. Hans Snowplow and Scoop. There it is. Also winners this year along with Blizzo.

01:02:12 - 01:02:16 | Speaker 3:

Don't we do something like that in Michigan? Doesn't MDOT have something where they need it? I know.

01:02:16 - 01:02:17 | Speaker 2:

I know Ohio does.

01:02:18 - 01:02:18 | Speaker 1:

Ohio does?

01:02:19 - 01:02:19 | Speaker 3:

Is it Ohio?

01:02:19 - 01:02:23 | Speaker 1:

01:02:54 - 01:02:55 | Speaker 4:

Awesome. Thank you so much, guys.

01:02:56 - 01:03:20 | Speaker 3:

You are so welcome. Listen all this week for a chance to win. We'll have those tickets for you right here on the Mojo in the Morning show. Coming up here in just a little bit, so what was it that the Air Force shot down over Lake Huron? We're going to find out in, like, less than five minutes. It's Mojo in the Morning. I saw Mike and Allie, Mike and his wife, went out for a Valentine's date to Costco this past weekend.

01:03:20 - 01:03:21 | Speaker 1:

It was so cute.

01:03:21 - 01:03:33 | Speaker 3:

You can see the pictures up on our Instagram and Facebook. We posted them over the weekend. Mike, that was so cute. And tell me, I saw some pictures also from you guys eating. It didn't look like you guys ate at the food court, though.

01:03:33 - 01:03:55 | Speaker 2:

No, no. So we don't normally celebrate Valentine's Day. Like, we'll do the day before because it was like our first date or whatever. Like, today would be the day we normally celebrate. But we decided, you know, let's do it We never do it So we went out and I was like, alright, let's go to a nice restaurant So she's been mentioning this nice, really, really nice restaurant In downtown Grand Rapids called Leo's They're known for their seafood

01:03:55 - 01:04:01 | Speaker 3:

And for those in Michigan, it's not Leo's Like we have Leo's Because there's a Coney Island chain that's called Leo's

01:04:01 - 01:05:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and so it is this really, really, really nice place Like super nice But she only mentioned it once Like a couple months ago Like we drove past it She's like, I really want to go there So I felt like I'm not a giant seafood guy, like a couple things, but I thought this will surprise her. And she knows we're going to Costco and doing this other cheesy stuff. I thought this would be really cool. So we went to this restaurant, and it is a really nice restaurant. Like you could tell. I could tell in seconds. Like I probably don't. I don't belong here necessarily. But I was wrong. I was like when I walked in, I was like I felt like I just don't belong here. But once I got there and sat down, I was like, oh, this is really nice. And we had a listener sit down next to us. Her name was Hallie and her whole family. And she walked in and it was like a, it was like cheer. She goes, Mike, hello. Oh, that's awesome. Yeah, it was really cool. She's like, we listened to the show. We love, you know, I saw you before. I never said hi. So she sits down and we feel more comfortable as we're getting there. And then we look at the menu and you guys, I can't pronounce half the things that were on this menu. And so then I'm like, okay, I have to, I go into instant, like, I'm going to order whatever I can pronounce mode. Like, I'm going to get a steak because I can pronounce steak. And my wife wants to, I'm going to try to pronounce it again. And I know I'm going to say it wrong. It's Bula, Bula, Bula, Bula, Bula, Bula, Bula, Bula, B-O-U-L-L. It's like a bowl of something. A bowl of something. Go ahead. Say it again. Bala bit. How do you spell it? B-O-U, I think there's two L's and two S's. Do it one more time. B-O-L-A-C-E-A. B-O-L-A-C-E-A.

01:05:43 - 01:05:45 | Speaker 5:

Oh, it's like a stew. Yes. Like a seafood stew.

01:05:46 - 01:06:30 | Speaker 2:

I'm only annoying this because I just Googled. And so that's what we had to do. So I'm like, we're not going to be those people that go to this nice restaurant and go and try to pronounce this and look like fools. because I've done that before and then they correct you and you look stupid and now we're sitting by these people who are literally having a conversation with us and I'm already kind of in that edge mode where I'm like, I'm just trying to feel comfortable here but I feel like this is a really, really nice restaurant that we don't normally go to and so I'm a little uncomfortable and so I pull up Google pronunciation but my Google is so loud that it pronounces it and I still couldn't tell you how to pronounce it you know how it does it really loud And it's like, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Spell it for me, and I'll go into mine and do it.

01:06:30 - 01:06:41 | Speaker 4:

It's B-O-U, I think there's two L's. It's B-O-U-I-L-L-A-B-A-I-S-S-E. A-B-A-I-S-S-E.

01:06:41 - 01:06:51 | Speaker 5:

It says, it is a type of French seafood stew that combines fish, shellfish, and vegetables in a tasty broth. Booyah base. Booyah base. Booyah base. Booyah base.

01:06:52 - 01:07:06 | Speaker 2:

But it's super loud. And so to the point where people next to us are like looking over and then one of the people that are sitting at that table are like, hey, that's pretty good. You should try that. We've been here before. Lisa, what's up?

01:07:08 - 01:07:14 | Speaker 4:

Okay, Mike, you heard it. It sounds like Shannon pressed the button. Can you say it now? Booyah bass.

01:07:15 - 01:07:17 | Speaker 2:

It's a booyah bass. Booyah bass.

01:07:18 - 01:07:19 | Speaker 1:

That's pretty close. That's pretty close.

01:07:20 - 01:07:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:07:21 - 01:07:29 | Speaker 3:

Have you ever had that happen to you, Lisa? or you go out to eat somewhere, and they have something on the menu that you just don't know what the heck it is or how to pronounce it? I just point to it.

01:07:29 - 01:07:30 | Speaker 5:

My favorite is I know how to pronounce it,

01:07:30 - 01:07:32 | Speaker 4:

and it won't come out of my mouth that way.

01:07:33 - 01:07:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Yeah. I'm a pointer. If I ever have to go to a restaurant, I'm just like,

01:07:37 - 01:07:40 | Speaker 1:

I'll take this right here.

01:07:41 - 01:07:43 | Speaker 3:

What's going on, Tony? How are you?

01:07:44 - 01:07:52 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. I'm actually Mike posing as Tony because there's obviously lots of Mikes floating around in this conversation.

01:07:52 - 01:08:23 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay, so they changed your name from... British, Mike. Yes, I'm British Tony today. British Tony. I like that. I don't think you're supposed to tell us, though, if they changed your name. I think that they're supposed to... No, I'm not. Sometimes the call screeners, Lydia, who screens our calls, will say, hey, we got like five mics on here, not to confuse anybody so it's not mic answering. Can you just go by whatever another name is? And so we're going to call... You know what we're going to call you from now on? We're not going to call you Tony. We're going to call you... Booyabase. Bouillabaisse. What's up, Bouillabaisse?

01:08:24 - 01:08:50 | Speaker 1:

Bouillabaisse is brilliant. And that's all I was going to do is just chip in and pronounce it, but it sounds like you got that down. It's actually a fish stew from the Côte d'Azur around Antibes, Marseille, that part of the world. Oh, my gosh. It's ludicrously expensive because it's got handfuls of saffron in it. And, you know, saffron's more expensive than gold. But it's absolutely delicious. And I hope you have a little taste. Radio Mike. Mike.

01:08:50 - 01:08:58 | Speaker 3:

Mike, that's fancy schmancy You see what I did there? Radio, Mike? Radio Radio, Mike

01:08:58 - 01:09:00 | Speaker 1:

Because it's so delicious

01:09:00 - 01:09:01 | Speaker 3:

Thank you, Tony

01:09:01 - 01:09:06 | Speaker 1:

I will say good morning, gentlemen And have a wonderful day You too, take care of yourself

01:09:06 - 01:09:08 | Speaker 3:

Bye, Mike, we'll see you, buddy

01:09:08 - 01:09:17 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I've never been more turned on in my life Oh, I remember screening his call A couple weeks ago I could not forget that voice

01:09:17 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I like it. All right. Thank you for the call, buddy. We'll talk to you. All right. Mojo in the morning. So big story came out right before the Super Bowl and it affected us locally. We broke it to you on our social media. But I don't know if many of our listeners heard this. You guys all know the story about that balloon that kind of traveled across the country and then it was shot down a week ago. Well, this past weekend, there were three more unidentified things that they ended up going after. One was off the coast of Alaska and Canada. Another one, I think it was like in my.

01:10:00 - 01:10:31 | Speaker 4:

Montana or something. I don't know. And then this one in Lake Huron that everybody's talking about above Michigan. Close the skies of Lake Michigan. Let me play for you some audio. And then on the phone with us in just a second is Congresswoman Alyssa Slotkin, who's going to talk to us about what she knows, having talked to some of our big officials with the Defense Department. This is Defense Department spokesperson Melissa Dalton talking about what was shot down over Lake Huron.

01:10:32 - 01:10:48 | Speaker 5:

These most recent objects do not pose a kinetic military threat, but they're passed in proximity to sensitive DOD sites. And the altitude that they were flying could be a hazard to civilian aviation and thus raise concerns.

01:10:48 - 01:11:05 | Speaker 4:

Wow. And General Van Hurek, I believe, I don't know. One of the generals was asked a question during the press conference yesterday by a news reporter of whether it was a balloon or possibly a UFO.

01:11:05 - 01:11:28 | Speaker 3:

Hi, thanks, Pat, and thanks for doing this. This is for General Van Herc. Because you still haven't been able to tell us what these things are that we are shooting out of the sky, that raises the question, have you ruled out aliens or extraterrestrials? And if so, why? Because that is what everyone is asking us right now.

01:11:28 - 01:11:47 | Speaker 2:

Thanks for the question, Helene. I'll let the intel community and the counterintelligence community figure that out. I haven't ruled out anything at this point. We continue to assess every threat or potential threat unknown that approaches North America with an attempt to identify it.

01:11:47 - 01:11:56 | Speaker 4:

Wow. So on the phone with us right now is Congresswoman Slotkin. How are you, Congresswoman? Welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show.

01:11:56 - 01:12:05 | Speaker 6:

I'm well. If you would have told me that we'd be talking about UFOs today, the day after the Super Bowl, I would have not had that on my bingo card. Right.

01:12:05 - 01:12:09 | Speaker 4:

How about UFOs in Michigan, of all places, right?

01:12:09 - 01:12:28 | Speaker 6:

Well, in Michigan, I just have to say, as a representative of Michigan, we have an overabundance of people who already believed in UFOs, who already thought that there was stuff. I get this question all the time anyways. And so this is just going to like this is the next generation. And it's going to be nonstop, I think, for the next 20 years about UFOs.

01:12:28 - 01:12:41 | Speaker 1:

So we saw last night they did have a press conference, but they didn't really shed much light for the general public. Do you hear more information from the intelligence or a military community that we don't get to hear? Or are you still also awaiting more answers?

01:12:42 - 01:13:26 | Speaker 6:

So it's a bit more. So, you know, last week, frankly, we were still finishing up all the classified briefings on the balloon that we were all watching. a week or 10 days ago and i think you know so they they do come back around and bring us all together once they've picked up the wreckage exploited it put the intelligence community on it and then can come back and say okay here's a bit more about what we saw um with these other objects these three other things um they just don't know a ton right now because it's different than a balloon yeah it does not look like a balloon it doesn't seem to be the same thing at all so they're hesitant not because they know a ton about it but because they don't know a ton about it they hit it over lake huron purposely so that they could collect that wreckage exploit it

01:13:26 - 01:14:04 | Speaker 4:

and so it takes a few days to really understand and uh i heard uh that they're having trouble with gathering some of these uh the the wreckage that uh yesterday there were some issues with uh lake huron at the time i guess the choppiness of it or whatever so they couldn't actually gather and they're going to go back today and do it but um fill us in a little bit on this because i got tell you something i was never a conspiracy terrorist now i'm a conspiracy theorist i don't buy anything anymore like anytime that there's something like this coming out i'm like what are they not wanting us to know about or what is it that we're you know it's like look you know there's

01:14:04 - 01:14:12 | Speaker 1:

something crazy going on here well and the congresswoman knows this firsthand because weren't you a grad student in new york city when the september 11th attacks took place

01:14:12 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 6:

yeah i was and then uh you know basically that day changed my life i got into national security and i was recruited right out of grad school to the cia so this is this is more my lane it's really amazing how my michigan life and my national security life has kind of come together in these objects i will say you know i i think we need we certainly need to understand what is going on because what's different is stuff flying over the homeland yeah we don't like that no country likes that and certainly americans don't like that um i think it's giving people a different feeling a different perspective about certainly about uh our relationship with the chinese government but i what we don't know right now is exactly kind of who sent those things for what purpose um that's the intent part of national

01:15:00 - 01:15:15 | Speaker 2:

Security is really important. Why did they send these things? But I would hold back going full conspiracy theory right now because I think the truth is this is a new thing for us with the Chinese government in particular, and we need to figure it out rather than something we're hiding.

01:15:16 - 01:15:30 | Speaker 3:

And this one, compared to the other three that were out there, is a little different because it was low enough that they believed that it could have actually caused issues for some of the aircraft that was flying. So that's scary.

01:15:31 - 01:16:15 | Speaker 2:

I think the balloon was one thing. And then these three other objects seem to be, at least at first blush, more similar to each other. And they're not balloons. But it was flying lower. It was a threat to airspace. I mean, anytime you have something like that in an area that's well-trafficked, certainly something flying over the country is trying to pick up something. It's trying to see something. So you don't like it going over our military bases. So we're glad that it was swiftly brought down. But I think this is just, to me, a new step in, unfortunately, an escalation with, you know, particularly if we confirm it from the Chinese government, that's we don't overfly each other's countries so brazenly like this. We don't test each other like this. So it's definitely new.

01:16:15 - 01:16:43 | Speaker 3:

So Representative Alyssa Slotkin on with us right now. We're talking about this, you know, whatever object that was flying, you know, over Michigan on Michigan and Canada. But I wonder your thoughts on this. Do you believe that we should have shot down that first one faster or do you think that we should have not? Because now it seems like we're really going after these things, you know, the moment that we find them, which honestly I like better than waiting for it to kind of travel across the country.

01:16:44 - 01:17:18 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. So here's the thing. When we had a I'm on the Armed Services Committee, we had a ton of unclassified and classified briefings on the balloon. We had a former four-star general who was in charge of the Asia-Pacific region come in and testify. And I agree with the decision. We understood very quickly that it wasn't a threat to people on the ground. There was no ordinance on it. They weren't going to drop a bomb on someone's head. And then I'll be honest, we can't talk about it much, but there are tools to disable this kind of thing even before it happens, right? We have ways of neutralizing these kinds of things.

01:17:18 - 01:17:25 | Speaker 3:

But I thought we didn't know that there was – I thought there was explosives that was on that thing. There was no explosives, so that report was wrong.

01:17:25 - 01:17:57 | Speaker 2:

No. They neutralized it. It largely looks like it was for surveillance. It traversed the country, and they purposely, A, wanted to get it away from population centers when they brought it down. We all appreciate that. But more importantly, as an intelligence officer, you want that stuff, right? You want the wreckage. They did it purposely in an area of relatively shallow water where they knew they could pick it up. And that's how we know, you know, and now I have information we can exploit. So I agreed with that decision because they're up to.

01:17:57 - 01:18:17 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I guess the shocking part, Congresswoman, is the fact that we just assume the intelligence community and our military is always watching, keeping guard. And when they found that first balloon and all of a sudden they started to do some study on some data and realize, oh, there's been a bunch of balloons over the past few years. And then you start to go, wait a minute, weren't we always watching the sky?

01:18:18 - 01:18:34 | Speaker 3:

Explain that to me, because they tried to, all of a sudden, what Spike just said, then they threw Trump's people under the bus saying that we had it during Trump's people. They said they didn't know about it. How does the president of the United States and the people that work for him not know that there were balloon sightings? How does that happen?

01:18:35 - 01:18:59 | Speaker 2:

I can't, I honestly cannot speak to, like, how big a deal it was or was not in the last administration. I just know that this is not, look, you have NORAD, which is basically the U.S. and Canada. sitting together in Colorado Springs who are protecting all of North America. That's our joint mission together. They sit there and they look at a lot of stuff. And I'll just be honest, I just don't think they were focused on, like, a lower-altitude balloon.

01:18:59 - 01:19:03 | Speaker 3:

I thought NORAD was just around just to tell us where Santa Claus was on Christmas.

01:19:03 - 01:19:05 | Speaker 1:

I know, that's the only time you hear about NORAD, seriously.

01:19:05 - 01:19:15 | Speaker 3:

Luckily, that's the only time. I do have to be honest with you. I'm kind of shocked that this thing gets shot down and, you know, Justin Trudeau comes out and speaks, but we haven't heard from the president on this.

01:19:16 - 01:19:35 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think given all the hubbub over the weekend, I mean, my guess is we're going to be hearing from the president pretty soon. That you don't have this many objects flying overhead. Now, I think they want to get their story together and want to be able to tell more information to the public, you know, to help with those conspiracy theorists. But I would be surprised if we didn't hear from them.

01:19:35 - 01:19:37 | Speaker 3:

Tim says he saw it. You saw this thing, Tim?

01:19:39 - 01:19:41 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Am I on the air? Yes. Yes.

01:19:41 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 3:

Yes. Uh-oh, this scares me. Whenever you ask if you're on the air, it makes me think you're going to say something goofy. I got my finger on the dump button. Go, Tim. Yeah, well, actually, I just wanted to kind of let your audience know some background information. Because I don't think we put enough thought into this because you don't hear about it on the mainstream.

01:20:00 - 01:20:05 | Speaker 6:

media, but you have to think about what's not been in the media and the Nord Stream 2

01:20:05 - 01:20:19 | Speaker 3:

pipeline, who is responsible for that. Okay. All right. All right. Here comes the conspiracy. Listen, did you see the balloon or not see the balloon? No, listen. I don't want to get into the whole political thing. I want to know if this balloon was going to. It was a psychological operation by our government.

01:20:19 - 01:20:29 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Let's ask Representative Slotkin. This is what happens. Representative. In the absence of actual information, it becomes a vacuum where then people try and fill in the conspiracy theories.

01:20:29 - 01:20:36 | Speaker 3:

And Congresswoman, this is why I think our government needs to come out. Like, I want to hear the president speak on this. I want to know what's going on.

01:20:37 - 01:21:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I have been expressing that to my Department of Defense colleagues. We were talking quite a bit yesterday, as you can imagine, and they were being very judicious. They don't want to say anything wrong. And I said, yeah, but the absence of information also creates a problem. So this is clearly confounding Washington. It's new. And, again, if we confirm that these things have been sent by the Chinese, I don't know that for sure right now, these new objects. It is a different moment in our sort of relationship. They are clearly testing us. Flying over the homeland is not a normal thing. Yeah.

01:21:14 - 01:21:19 | Speaker 1:

And a lot of people are talking about last night. There was something going on last night. I'm not quite sure if you were aware of.

01:21:19 - 01:21:29 | Speaker 2:

So a lot of people saw strings of lights over Metro Detroit last night. And that was Elon Musk's Starlink satellite service. That's a regular thing that flies over us every few months. Really? Really? Yeah.

01:21:30 - 01:21:31 | Speaker 1:

So many text messages about that.

01:21:32 - 01:21:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. A lot of people mistake that to be like a UFO or something because it is so odd to see this string of 15 or 20 bright lights in a row.

01:21:39 - 01:22:12 | Speaker 3:

I had food coma from Super Bowl, so I wasn't kidding. Oh, me too. Those nachos. All right. Representative Alyssa Slotkin, you're going to get the answers for us and come back to Mojo in the Morning and tell us, right? Sounds good. Sounds good. Thank you. Thanks for going on with us. Appreciate it. You're in for a treat. It's a special Valentine's phone scam and a proposal. Justin? Yeah. Are you sure you want to do this? Times now or never, you know? Well, I'm not talking about the proposal. I'm talking about the scam. If you scam her and she gets so upset, she may not accept your proposal.

01:22:13 - 01:22:20 | Speaker 6:

You know, I mean, look, if she gets that upset over this, I think she has a good sense of humor. I think she's going to dig it.

01:22:21 - 01:22:27 | Speaker 2:

So what you emailed to me is you've been up for new jobs within your company. There would be a promotion, but it would require you moving to a new city?

01:22:28 - 01:22:50 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I mean, that's the thing. I've wanted to get married for a while. I've always kind of been ready. I just needed probably some more cash and maybe a little more job stability. And then this job came up. I've been telling her about it. She didn't know if it was going to happen or not. But she said there's no moving, you know, unless there's a ring on her finger and she won't get married. I believe in marriage. She believes in it. So I figured now's the time to do it.

01:22:50 - 01:23:04 | Speaker 2:

All right, so you've had this conversation a bunch of times. Now, I'm going to call her as someone from your work and make her think you took a job without even talking to her. I'm a little nervous, though. All right, so you just listen, and you think about the big payoff at the end. That's what you've got to work on.

01:23:05 - 01:23:10 | Speaker 6:

All right, guys. All right, here we go. It's Mojo in the Morning Phone Scams.

01:23:16 - 01:23:20 | Speaker 2:

Hello? Hello, this is Winfield Gladwish. May I speak to Justin, please?

01:23:21 - 01:23:22 | Speaker 5:

He's not here right now. He's got my message.

01:23:23 - 01:23:24 | Speaker 2:

Okay, great. Is this Brandy?

01:23:25 - 01:23:26 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it is.

01:23:26 - 01:24:02 | Speaker 2:

Well, you must be very excited about his promotion. I'm sorry? You must be excited for Justin about his promotion. Could you just let him know that Winfield called, and I got the green light for a start date of the 4th? I just need him to confirm a few things, like whether or not he needs corporate housing until you guys get settled, and also he's supposed to be working on some estimates for our moving expenses. Wait, what? I'm sorry, I'm going too fast. Moving expenses? We cover the middle of three estimates. If you have companies come out to the house or we can just cover a flat $5,000, it's your choice. Justin wanted to get some estimates first before we gave him that decision.

01:24:04 - 01:24:07 | Speaker 5:

Wait. Wait, did Justin get a promotion?

01:24:08 - 01:24:10 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, a promotion. Didn't he talk to you about the job?

01:24:11 - 01:24:13 | Speaker 5:

Wait, this is all new to me. I don't know what you're talking about.

01:24:13 - 01:24:18 | Speaker 2:

Uh-oh. Did I just let the horse out of the stable? Did he not tell you about the new job?

01:24:19 - 01:24:20 | Speaker 5:

What new job?

01:24:20 - 01:24:26 | Speaker 2:

The promotion, senior analyst, risk management, Charlotte, North Carolina branch, home of the Bobcats.

01:24:27 - 01:24:29 | Speaker 5:

Wait, Charlotte? Did he accept the job in Charlotte?

01:24:30 - 01:24:52 | Speaker 2:

Yes, ma'am. You sound sweeter than sweet to you, and I believe I just need to get back to you lovebirds after you have a discussion. I'm pretty sure I have a size 12 boot in my biscuit after sharing a little too many details. You didn't know about the job? No, he didn't. Wait, he took the job? Yes, ma'am, he did. We're very excited to have him on board, and we're excited to have you down here, too. You're going to love it down here. You like NASCAR?

01:24:53 - 01:24:54 | Speaker 5:

No, I don't like the NASCAR.

01:24:55 - 01:24:56 | Speaker 2:

You have very nice libraries.

01:24:58 - 01:25:00 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Anyway, I just need to know if you want to.

01:25:00 - 01:25:03 | Speaker 3:

wants a corporate suite at the La Quinta Inn, or if you plan on finding a residence right away?

01:25:04 - 01:25:10 | Speaker 5:

Oh my God, I can't even believe this. Okay. I can't help but notice you sound a little ruffled.

01:25:10 - 01:25:14 | Speaker 3:

Maybe you'd like to confer with Justin about all this and then have him give me a call back tomorrow?

01:25:15 - 01:25:19 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I need to talk to Justin about this, and then...

01:25:19 - 01:25:28 | Speaker 3:

Geez, now I feel embarrassed. You're just as sweet as syrup on a strawberry sundae, and I think I didn't realize he didn't talk to you about this yet.

01:25:28 - 01:25:30 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'm a little taken off guard by this, too.

01:25:32 - 01:25:40 | Speaker 3:

I'm sorry. It sure was nice to meet you. Listen, I can't wait to meet you. You talk to him. It's going to be great, and I feel horrible about this.

01:25:41 - 01:25:44 | Speaker 5:

It's okay. We'll be...

01:25:44 - 01:25:50 | Speaker 3:

Maybe I can put you on with my manager. Maybe he can tell you the situation. Can I put you on with my manager?

01:25:50 - 01:25:52 | Speaker 5:

No, that's okay.

01:25:52 - 01:25:56 | Speaker 3:

All right, that's okay. Here, let me put you on with Justin. Hey, Justin? Hey, babe.

01:25:57 - 01:26:00 | Speaker 4:

Randy. Hey, uh, this is, it's just a phone scam.

01:26:02 - 01:26:02 | Speaker 5:

Wait, what?

01:26:03 - 01:26:04 | Speaker 3:

Brandy, you recognize that voice, right?

01:26:05 - 01:26:05 | Speaker 5:

Wait.

01:26:05 - 01:26:11 | Speaker 3:

This is Mojo on the morning show. You're on the radio, and that's your boyfriend, Justin. And he's not really moving anywhere.

01:26:12 - 01:26:14 | Speaker 5:

You are such an a**hole.

01:26:17 - 01:26:27 | Speaker 3:

Wait a minute, wait a minute now. Before you come down too hard on Justin, there's one more detail we didn't share. We're going to end this phone scam a little differently for our listeners. Justin, you want to take care of this one?

01:26:28 - 01:27:01 | Speaker 4:

I love you. You're the love of my life. I can't imagine ever going through life without you. You make me laugh every day. You make me smile. You make me happy. You make me proud to be alive. And I just love every single thing about you from every minute we're together, every minute, you know, we're apart. I'm always thinking about you. And I wanted to kind of make it special, and I wanted to know if you will you marry me? What?

01:27:03 - 01:27:07 | Speaker 5:

Oh my god, are you serious? Yes! We got a yes!

01:27:09 - 01:27:16 | Speaker 3:

This part is not a scam. Congratulations, Brandi. Oh my god, thank you. Yeah! Yeah!

01:27:20 - 01:27:21 | Speaker 6:

I just love it.

01:27:21 - 01:27:24 | Speaker 3:

Oh my god. I feel weird playing the phone scam jingle after this one.

01:27:24 - 01:27:28 | Speaker 2:

Should I not then? You have to, yeah.

01:27:30 - 01:27:43 | Speaker 1:

We will, we will scam you. Laugh all you want. We'll get you eventually. The world famous. Is the home of the world famous phone scams. Mojo in the morning.

01:27:44 - 01:27:44 | Unknown:

One time.

01:27:47 - 01:27:53 | Speaker 1:

Makes a noise. For Mojo. Mike Shannon.

01:27:53 - 01:29:39 | Speaker 2:

by the way congratulations to brandy and justin congratulations uh on their fifth anniversary so they celebrated their fifth anniversary of that so that's pretty cool that was a uh a cool moment on the mojo in the morning show uh thanks for being here we're commercial free right now good to have you guys with us and coming up this hour on the show second date update why are you not getting a call back after a date that you went on we're going to be taking away some man cards coming up here in just a little bit and the first date bust all on the way stick around don't go anywhere this is the mojo in the morning show mojo spike shannon megan mike broadcasting on 104.5 snx 92.5 kiss fm and channel 955 got to shout out our great producers uh kp and lydia also our audio director uh katie doing a great job this morning i uh feel a little uh exhausted after the super bowl last night and i kind of wanted to do a couple of things here number one i wanted to point out the fact that um yes i did win money i i talked about this but i'm going to keep continuing saying i've never i was undefeated last night i couldn't believe it every bet that i made one and honestly they didn't look promising to me like some of the bets that i that i made so that was what the the shocker was of the whole deal um we're you know i did some bets just to offset others but i only did like 25 bets and won 150 i was so excited about that yeah i'll take it

01:29:39 - 01:29:49 | Speaker 6:

exactly i know west was letting all the kids place bets through him of course on the apps and they just thought that was like the coolest thing. Lucy won $10 and you would have thought that like she

01:29:49 - 01:29:54 | Speaker 2:

won $10,000. It's funny. For the coin toss. I don't I don't know how to cash out though. That's

01:29:54 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 3:

the only problem. Of course. That money will be there till you lose it again. Yeah pretty much I'll probably be

01:30:00 - 01:30:24 | Speaker 4:

playing blackjack during a commercial break coming up here but um oh so i i want to and i'm going to throw this out there because megan's going to start this off for us um i want to take away some man cards from uh any of the guys that are listening whose girlfriends wives or in megan's case sisters want to call them out for what they were doing instead of watching the super bowl last

01:30:24 - 01:30:39 | Speaker 3:

night well now i feel bad i didn't know this is how we were going to format it i'm going to be the worst sister ever, but I thought it was really funny last night that I went to like a Super Bowl. Can you call it a party when it's three people? Oh, yeah. There's always a party.

01:30:39 - 01:30:42 | Speaker 4:

I left the home. You could have a party with one if you

01:30:42 - 01:31:15 | Speaker 3:

wanted to. I left my home. I got out of my house, and I went over to my dad's to watch the Super Bowl with him, and my brother felt very left out, so he wanted to go, although he doesn't really care about football. He likes the lions because i like the lions but he doesn't really watch football all that much he's more of a hockey guy um so he showed up to the super bowl party yesterday and he brought a book with him that's great he brought a book to the super bowl he brought a book to the super bowl i mean

01:31:15 - 01:31:19 | Speaker 6:

like how do you even read because you're going to want to keep looking up every time there's

01:31:19 - 01:31:35 | Speaker 3:

a reaction to something on the screen he was only making fun of us because uh some of the Kansas City Chiefs players had yellow gloves on, and my dad and I kept thinking they were flags, and he just would not shut up making fun of us for every time there was a flag. He went, is that a glove? And then he would go back to his book.

01:31:36 - 01:31:42 | Speaker 4:

What book was it, by the way? Or mouthpieces, by the way. Did you notice that? The yellow mouthpieces around the field? Yeah, what book was it?

01:31:42 - 01:31:57 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so before you judge him, I'm forcing him to read it because he and I are trying to get matching tattoos very badly, and I really want him to get one with me based off this book. It's called The Time Traveler's Wife, and it's my favorite book. So he's reading it to be nice. Okay. But he kind of likes it, which is like a win-win.

01:31:58 - 01:32:42 | Speaker 4:

Okay. So instead of watching the Super Bowl, what were you doing? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is the telephone number. They'll have the results of how many people were watching the Super Bowl last night. And like I had said during our earlier hours, they're expecting it to be like a record amount of people that were watching the Super Bowl because of the hype that was around the game and the halftime performance. But in some cases, there are some people that just don't want to watch it. And I always thought that the counter-programming, you know, is interesting because usually some of the other stations just don't even run any new stuff. You know, they'll just run like old stuff because they realize that nobody's watching them. You know, the amount of people.

01:32:42 - 01:32:49 | Speaker 6:

But the Puppy Bowl was great. Well, even the stuff they used to counter-program, like the Puppy Bowl, now is before, early in the day, so they get the bigger viewing.

01:32:49 - 01:33:02 | Speaker 1:

So I'm looking at Forbes right now because I was trying to see if they released some of the ratings, and they did for halftime. Preliminary ratings, though. I don't know if I believe this. Rihanna's Super Bowl halftime show draws 28.5 million households less than last year.

01:33:02 - 01:33:04 | Speaker 4:

Really? I don't buy that.

01:33:04 - 01:33:07 | Speaker 1:

Really? 28.7 million. Who was it?

01:33:07 - 01:33:10 | Speaker 4:

Last year was the Dr. Dre and everybody else. Last year was the Dr. Dre and Kevin.

01:33:10 - 01:33:12 | Speaker 1:

Really? I mean, no worries.

01:33:12 - 01:33:16 | Speaker 6:

This could have been their survey, not the actual ratings, but they might have done a survey.

01:33:16 - 01:33:17 | Speaker 1:

And this is early numbers. Yeah.

01:33:17 - 01:33:18 | Speaker 6:

That's interesting.

01:33:18 - 01:33:21 | Speaker 4:

And honestly, the ratings typically are not out this fast.

01:33:21 - 01:33:27 | Speaker 1:

They said that early numbers for the actual game appear to be up versus last year.

01:33:27 - 01:33:31 | Speaker 4:

They also take account of streaming, too. But Israel, what's up?

01:33:32 - 01:33:33 | Speaker 5:

How's it going, everybody?

01:33:34 - 01:33:37 | Speaker 4:

Good. Israel, instead of watching the Super Bowl, what were you doing?

01:33:38 - 01:33:41 | Speaker 5:

I was playing that new Harry Potter game, the Hogwarts Legacy. Nice.

01:33:41 - 01:33:44 | Speaker 3:

I hate you. I hate you. Mike, did you play this weekend?

01:33:45 - 01:33:57 | Speaker 5:

I did. All Saturday. I got the kids involved, and in the first five minutes, not to spoil it for anybody, somebody dies. And I'm like, all right, so I'll play later tonight. Very good game. Recommend it for everybody.

01:33:58 - 01:33:59 | Speaker 4:

Thank you, buddy. Thanks for the call.

01:33:59 - 01:34:01 | Speaker 3:

Some of us don't get to play until July. Yeah.

01:34:03 - 01:34:27 | Speaker 4:

Text 95500. A couple texters that are here right now. Instead of watching the Super Bowl, I decided that I was going to nap and catch up on sleep. That was one. My husband was not watching the Super Bowl last night. Instead, he was watching Yellowstone. That's interesting. So catching up on a show that you could have caught up on another time. Steph, instead of watching the Super Bowl?

01:34:28 - 01:34:30 | Speaker 2:

I was playing a board game called Photosynthesis.

01:34:31 - 01:34:32 | Speaker 4:

Really? I've heard of it.

01:34:33 - 01:34:40 | Speaker 2:

It's basically like tree chest. Everybody has their own forest. They're building up into one single forest.

01:34:40 - 01:34:44 | Speaker 4:

Was it fun? Was it more fun than watching Rihanna at halftime?

01:34:45 - 01:34:49 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I watched the halftime show. I just didn't watch the football. But, yeah, it was fun because I won.

01:34:50 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 4:

My favorite are when you watch a Super Bowl with people who just don't care about football or they hate both teams because both teams are so polarizing, especially if you're a Lions fan, you're not really.

01:35:00 - 01:35:10 | Speaker 6:

necessarily a Chiefs or an Eagles fan, but you turn the volume and everything down during that, and you just turn it up during the commercials. It's like the opposite of what you'd expect. Ash, what's happening?

01:35:11 - 01:35:14 | Speaker 3:

Hey, not much. How are you guys? Good. Instead of

01:35:14 - 01:35:15 | Speaker 6:

watching the Super Bowl, what were you doing?

01:35:17 - 01:35:40 | Speaker 3:

We went to a neighbor's house and we just ate and drank and caught up on who's left the neighborhood and who's joined the neighborhood. A little gossip. All the tea. That's good. The only thing we did watch was the halftime show and that's all in the 15 years I've been living here in America that's all I do watch is the halftime show and I thought she was really good and she's pregnant so congratulations to her

01:35:40 - 01:35:48 | Speaker 5:

well it's surprising it's not surprising to see someone's not interested in the game it's surprising that you found a whole community there that doesn't like and doesn't care about the game

01:35:48 - 01:36:06 | Speaker 6:

did you hear the rumor by the way this is good for you with being from England did you hear the rumor that they're talking about adding four teams and all those teams are going to be in Europe So they're talking about adding – the NFL is talking about adding teams and rearranging the AFC, NFC, and then actually moving it off.

01:36:06 - 01:36:10 | Speaker 5:

But then it can't be the NFL anymore. It had to be the international football league.

01:36:10 - 01:36:16 | Speaker 3:

Do you want to hear my theory? Yeah, that's true. Yeah, but did you hear that in 2026 it's going to be in England?

01:36:17 - 01:36:18 | Speaker 6:

That's another rumor.

01:36:19 - 01:36:20 | Speaker 3:

Is that true?

01:36:21 - 01:36:21 | Speaker 6:

Megan, what's your theory?

01:36:21 - 01:36:51 | Speaker 3:

Well, they're saying it is. Yeah, because rugby's getting very big here as well because of, you know, the amount of Europeans who are here. So rugby's getting big and then soccer's getting big, or should I say the proper football is getting big. So I think, you know, they're trying to integrate everything, which I think it's nice because, you know, people play basketball a lot in England also. I mean, we're not ever going to do baseball because we have rounders there, which is a girls game. So we're never going to have baseball in England.

01:36:51 - 01:37:00 | Speaker 6:

But we do bring teams there Like Major League Baseball All the sports I realize And there's a lot of money to be had Thank you for the call

01:37:00 - 01:37:03 | Speaker 3:

Thanks Ash Have a great day guys

01:37:03 - 01:37:15 | Speaker 6:

Did you see that Patrick Mahomes chose not to go to Disney World And I think maybe it's because They were in Phoenix So it's a West Coast thing But he chose

01:37:15 - 01:37:21 | Speaker 7:

Patrick Mahomes, you and the Kansas City Chiefs just won the Super Bowl. What are you going to do next?

01:37:22 - 01:37:23 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to Disneyland.

01:37:24 - 01:37:27 | Speaker 6:

He's going to Disneyland instead of Disney World.

01:37:27 - 01:37:31 | Speaker 2:

Are you glad to do that? No, I think it's because they're promoting the 100 years at Disneyland.

01:37:31 - 01:37:32 | Speaker 6:

Is that what it is?

01:37:32 - 01:37:37 | Speaker 2:

It was 50 years at Disney World. It's 100 at Disneyland. And they were playing that 100-year-old commercial.

01:37:38 - 01:37:51 | Speaker 6:

And here's the reason why I tell you guys. They're trying to make him the face of the NFL like they did Tom Brady. And he is the new face of the NFL. Probably why they threw that flag at the end of that game. But he said this about Disney.

01:37:52 - 01:37:59 | Speaker 1:

Luckily, I'm going to Disneyland now. So I have Disney World and Disneyland crossed off. And I'll have to make some more parks so I can go around everywhere and do a world tour.

01:38:00 - 01:38:04 | Speaker 2:

Every time he does. Oh. Every time he does. I know he's got that voice. He's like a cartoon character.

01:38:04 - 01:38:11 | Speaker 6:

Do you want to watch this? Michael Strahan's doing an interview with Rihanna. Yeah. Do you think they talk about the baby at all?

01:38:11 - 01:38:16 | Speaker 7:

And I sat down with her to talk about her big return to the stage. Being an Oscar nominee.

01:38:16 - 01:38:18 | Speaker 6:

He probably didn't know, right, that she was pregnant.

01:38:19 - 01:38:28 | Speaker 7:

I don't think anybody did. I met up with nine-time Grammy Award winner Rihanna, just days ahead of her Super Bowl 57 halftime show. Oh, she was before us. Yeah.

01:38:29 - 01:38:49 | Speaker 4:

There's so many things that I felt like I had to overcome in order to even do this. I had just become a mom, literally, and I had not been on tour for seven years. So to go from that to Super Bowl, it was one of those things that I knew would be a challenge.

01:38:51 - 01:39:00 | Speaker 7:

Just like the rest of her fans, I, too, can't wait to see her get back to work. When I heard you were doing the Super Bowl, I was like, okay, you're going to be at a halftime. I get a front row seat.

01:39:01 - 01:39:03 | Speaker 3:

And I'm like, you, me.

01:39:03 - 01:39:07 | Speaker 5:

She did a good job with the wraps and all the outfits to kind of conceal.

01:39:08 - 01:39:17 | Speaker 7:

I mean, you? Yeah, that was a rehearsal. You, me, me, me. It wasn't terrible.

01:39:17 - 01:39:22 | Speaker 6:

You don't have to lie. I've heard words. Who would you rather have read to you, Patrick Mahomes or Michael Strahan?

01:39:24 - 01:39:29 | Speaker 7:

Do you ever think about how many people are watching you when you're out there? Yes. Really? Yes.

01:39:29 - 01:39:31 | Speaker 6:

I want to just hear Michael Strahan.

01:39:31 - 01:39:44 | Speaker 4:

That's overwhelming. I have not been able to do that still to this day. The camera represents so many people, a huge audience. and the camera at a Super Bowl. It's one of the biggest audiences.

01:39:47 - 01:39:50 | Speaker 6:

I want to hear Michael Strahan do an interview with Patrick Mahomes just to hear their voices.

01:39:51 - 01:39:56 | Speaker 7:

And while Rihanna continues to run this town... Lift me up.

01:39:56 - 01:39:58 | Speaker 6:

I'm so glad she didn't do that.

01:39:58 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 7:

Lifting fans hopes for new music...

01:40:00 - 01:40:11 | Speaker 2:

her 2022 Oscar-nominated song, Lift Me Up. How did that come about? Brian Cooler, he reached out to me

01:40:11 - 01:40:18 | Speaker 3:

and he asked if I would be interested in doing a song for the film. And when I saw the film...

01:40:18 - 01:40:21 | Speaker 4:

They're not going to talk about anything interesting. This was all recorded three days before the Super Bowl.

01:40:22 - 01:40:27 | Speaker 3:

Ah, crap. I want to know how far along she is.

01:40:28 - 01:40:32 | Speaker 4:

How scary was it on that stage flying in the sky where it's like shaking around.

01:40:33 - 01:40:47 | Speaker 2:

Rihanna didn't know I was serious. I really was, you guys. But you know what? We are waiting for new music, but we would just take the halftime show that we had yesterday because she was absolutely amazing. And we're just looking forward to anything she can give us in the future, Robin.

01:40:47 - 01:40:52 | Speaker 1:

We do want more. We want more Michael Strahan, and we will in just a little bit because we got to thank you guys.

01:40:53 - 01:40:56 | Speaker 5:

I understand why there is an OBGYN in the field now.

01:40:56 - 01:41:23 | Speaker 3:

we do the second date update here on the mojo in the morning show and we always give you kind of a little details about how to do it and how to you know be part of it if you think that you are not getting a call back you can text date to 95500 and one of our producers will get back to you and then we'll try to call the person that you went on a date with but first it's the first

01:41:23 - 01:42:21 | Speaker 4:

date bust this is kind of like how did you know this first date was also the last date what did they say or do on your date that you realized oh we're done yeah we're not we're not going on another date do you have an example yes uh at my super bowl party i asked my single friend i'm like how's the dating life going you know and he's he was telling in the room how two weekends ago he went on a first date and the woman he took out on a date asked the server at the restaurant what is your most expensive drink and he was just looking at her like what and she was serious and he was like she was trying to order the most expensive drink in my and he's just like what the hell kind of question is that not what is your best drink or most popular drink so my buddy said he thinks like bro code kicked in because the waiter looked at him and just gave him a look and then he kept telling the girl her first two choices were out of stock basically i think he was trying to keep her oh really keep her from ordering the 300 bottle of champagne oh my wait

01:42:21 - 01:42:27 | Speaker 3:

so she wait does he think that she was gonna order that oh yeah she was specifically looking

01:42:27 - 01:42:52 | Speaker 4:

for the most expensive thing she's like i want to try something treat our treat myself and he's like uh the first date i don't even know you what are you asking the most expensive so very fallsy yeah so he tipped the waiter well because the waiter hooked him up and did not let her order the big expensive drink but obviously he never called the girl for a second date but i thought that's a good topic because who was on a date and the minute he or she said something you knew oh this is over

01:42:52 - 01:43:08 | Speaker 3:

this is over there's not going to be a second date or has anybody ever gone on a date and the person did order the most expensive thing on the menu and did that end the date for you because a lot of times you know you'll just go and the person will be subtle about it but they're like

01:43:08 - 01:43:23 | Speaker 5:

yeah i'll take the most yeah this is why i want women to be able to pay on the first date because When I go on a date to a fancy restaurant, I want a good meal. I don't want to worry about you analyzing how much money I'm spending like that. Like, I'm here for a meal. You're just the entertainment.

01:43:23 - 01:43:40 | Speaker 4:

You're asking to be analyzed if you don't ask what's the best meal or what's something I've never had before that I should try at this restaurant. You said, what's the most expensive drink? To actually ask about it if you just order it. Yeah, because most expensive doesn't make it the best drink. Some of my favorite wines are $6 bottle of wines.

01:43:40 - 01:44:07 | Speaker 3:

But I also think what Megan is saying is, I get it. She says, I want to order something good, and I don't necessarily want to be judged for it. But I think people are going to judge you if you do order. If there's something on the menu that says market price, or it says something like it's well over whatever, anything else that's on there, I think you're going to look bad. But in that case, Megan, I think that's one of those ones where I'm like going, you know, I really like this. I just want you to know, we're splitting the bill or something like that.

01:44:07 - 01:44:22 | Speaker 4:

But I wouldn't even judge someone if I took them on a date And they ordered the market price Because I'm like, listen I brought you to a restaurant I should be able to afford whatever meal you're going to buy If I took you to dinner So does that apply to drinks? No, because she's not looking

01:44:22 - 01:44:26 | Speaker 5:

If you're ordering a bottle of champagne

01:44:26 - 01:44:42 | Speaker 4:

On a first date And your category is the most expensive thing You're not saying I've always wanted to try This bartender looks like he makes a really cool Smoked this or that Or I've never had rosé before I want to try rosé She was literally like What's the most expensive thing I can put on the bill

01:44:42 - 01:44:47 | Speaker 3:

Or ordering a bottle of something Usually it's like I'll just order You order it by the glass Or whatever

01:44:47 - 01:44:50 | Speaker 5:

And if you're both Ordering the same thing You have a little discussion Of should we just get

01:44:50 - 01:44:56 | Speaker 3:

Should we just get a bottle If you're going to order The same thing If the person just blatantly goes I'm going to take a bottle What's up Nikki How you doing

01:44:56 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 5:

Hi yeah So the guy after being

01:44:59 - 01:45:29 | Unknown:

Thank you.

01:45:00 - 01:45:29 | Speaker 3:

an hour and a half late um you know the bill comes and um you know that awkward first date you know everyone kind of gets it out he he pretends like he is and he said oh shoot i forgot my wallet in the car and so i'm like okay i'll get it whatever and he's still one of my shoes too um he kept saying your feet are so cute oh god oh no and he never offered after

01:45:29 - 01:45:36 | Speaker 8:

the date to reimburse you or to take you on a second date or anything i blocked him yeah i guess

01:45:36 - 01:45:42 | Speaker 3:

once no i want my shoe back yeah i have the other one just in case i lost it somewhere

01:45:42 - 01:45:50 | Speaker 1:

because it's one of my favorite flax cinderella uh michelle you knew the date was bad when he did

01:45:50 - 01:46:15 | Speaker 6:

oh goodness goodness i i i came up to this construction worker who is really i've never done this and have not done this since i put my number in his back pocket he calls me we go on a date he comes to pick me up and as soon as i get the car he's like i'm sorry but i've got really bad gas tonight so he literally he literally crapped his pants the whole evening oh god after and then he's like oh you're so cool it's like hanging out with one of the guys and i'm going i

01:46:15 - 01:46:23 | Speaker 1:

am dying oh i am dying wait should have rescheduled when you say he literally you you're he didn't Literally, right?

01:46:23 - 01:46:24 | Speaker 6:

He farted.

01:46:24 - 01:46:29 | Speaker 1:

He farted. He just farted. Okay. Because I was going to say, can you imagine if he literally crapped his pants and you've got to be with him?

01:46:29 - 01:46:32 | Speaker 6:

I think he may have had a wipe because it was really gross.

01:46:33 - 01:46:35 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Marissa, hi.

01:46:36 - 01:46:43 | Speaker 5:

Hi. Oh, my gosh. I love the story about the crapping appearance. This isn't that story, but I've actually pooped my pants on a first date.

01:46:45 - 01:46:46 | Speaker 1:

Did your date know?

01:46:48 - 01:46:55 | Speaker 7:

Hold on. Hold on. I love it. You can't say that. Marissa, that's grumpy

01:46:55 - 01:46:58 | Speaker 5:

Marissa, that's the funniest Are you still with him?

01:46:58 - 01:46:59 | Speaker 8:

He knows

01:46:59 - 01:47:49 | Speaker 5:

No, oh gosh, no Oh, okay, okay But just like a year or two ago I went on a bumble date with this firefighter guy And he took me to Mancy So I was all excited Oh, girl, yes Well, he's 40 minutes late And I call him after like 15 minutes And I'm like, hey, what's going on? and he's like oh is it already time and i'm like yeah like it's it's time so he comes and he meets me he's 40 minutes late we're sitting we had just ordered food and right after like our order is in he says something along the lines like he didn't think that he didn't he was happy that i wasn't as chunky as I was in my profile picture. And I'm glad that my chest made up for it.

01:47:49 - 01:47:50 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God.

01:47:50 - 01:47:58 | Speaker 3:

I would have gotten right up and walked my butt out of there. I would have ordered everything on the menu.

01:47:59 - 01:48:08 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I couldn't have sanded to look at him. Actually, that's the date you want to crap in the car on. Helena, hi.

01:48:09 - 01:48:24 | Speaker 4:

Hi. So, I went on First day about two years ago And this guy I offered To pay my half And I said, you know how much is my half And he said, he looked at the bill And said, it's not that expensive I can take care of it this time

01:48:24 - 01:48:29 | Speaker 1:

Maybe he was just kidding, was he just kidding?

01:48:30 - 01:48:34 | Speaker 4:

No, he was serious He said, next time we can go out to an expensive Restaurant and you can pay

01:48:34 - 01:48:41 | Speaker 1:

That's so bold Joe actually had a date And what happened, Joe?

01:48:42 - 01:49:14 | Speaker 2:

Hi, first time caller. Congrats, Shannon. Thank you so much. So I'm from Windsor, right? And there's a place called Marcy Steakhouse. And I wanted to be, like, impressive. And so we ordered a steak. And then she's like, can I get some shots? And I'm like, okay. $450 later. I'm like, are you going to help pay for this? And she walked out. Oh, my God.

01:49:14 - 01:49:16 | Speaker 3:

What was so expensive? What did she order?

01:49:18 - 01:49:34 | Speaker 2:

I don't even know. These female drinks. The steaks were like $60 each. Yeah. Which wasn't too bad. It sounded like she ordered some expensive alcohol. Yeah. And then these shots on the side.

01:49:35 - 01:49:44 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. $450. and she leaves you there. Did she at least let you pay the bill and then leave you or did she leave you before the bill was even paid?

01:49:45 - 01:49:49 | Speaker 2:

She left before the person came with the

01:49:49 - 01:50:19 | Speaker 1:

bill. Oh, you poor guy. What's the exchange rate though in Canada? Let me see what the exchange rate is now. $450. Was she from the U.S. or was she from Canada? She's from Canada. She was from Canada. Oh, my God. Well, all I keep thinking about is that girl that crapped her pants in the guy's car. I mean, that's hysterical. I want to do a dating game with her. Everybody who's crapped their pants before has to be in line to date her.

01:50:19 - 01:50:21 | Speaker 2:

It has to have its own app. Yeah.

01:50:22 - 01:50:25 | Speaker 1:

All right. Mojo in the Morning show. We're going to do second date update.

01:50:26 - 01:50:28 | Speaker 3:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

01:50:28 - 01:50:59 | Speaker 1:

All right. Why are you not getting a call back after you went on a date? We're going to find out this morning. So interesting little story going on here. So on the phone with us is Lucas and Sophia. That you guys went on a date. And who's not calling the other back? Who's the one that's kind of acting a little funny right now? Is it you, Lucas? Or no, actually, it's Sophia, isn't it?

01:50:59 - 01:51:01 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, Sophia.

01:51:01 - 01:51:05 | Speaker 1:

Sophia, say hello to Lucas.

01:51:07 - 01:51:07 | Speaker 2:

Hi.

01:51:09 - 01:51:09 | Unknown:

Hello.

01:51:10 - 01:51:18 | Speaker 1:

So what's the story, Lucas? How was the date? First tell us about the date, and then I'm going to ask Sophia what the story is with her.

01:51:18 - 01:51:42 | Speaker 3:

Okay, well, yeah, Sophia and I went out bar hopping, and we met up with a group of her friends. And, you know, it was the first time I was meeting her girlfriend And, yeah, you know, I thought it was really good We had a good time And I'm not really sure what happened But she's been ghosting me now

01:51:42 - 01:52:06 | Speaker 1:

Sophia, you were good about getting in contact with our producer When we reached out to you, you didn't ghost us so you obviously don't you know care to you know to hold back on what the the story is what's going on what what happened that has caused you to uh to not call back lucas well we you know we had a

01:52:06 - 01:52:36 | Speaker 2:

good time it was our second date the first time he was meeting my friends and i was really excited for that and um my friend kaylee brought me into the bathroom and was like i have to show you something like i was scrolling through tinder and her and lucas actually like matched and i just couldn't believe that he would pursue one of my friends that he just met i just think it's completely that night as far as i know yeah it was that night that it happened and well and also

01:52:36 - 01:52:47 | Speaker 1:

this is this is the second date right so this is the second time that you guys are together So he's still matching with people While he's going out with you Is that also red flaggy?

01:52:48 - 01:53:02 | Speaker 2:

I think it's like a little red flaggy I mean we're only on our second date We haven't made anything exclusive If you've met on a dating site It's like I have leeway there But if we're on a date and you're actually like using Right That's what would bother me

01:53:02 - 01:53:05 | Speaker 1:

Were you on the date Lucas when you matched?

01:53:06 - 01:53:17 | Speaker 3:

No I mean just how do you know that i was that could have been from from ages ago i i mean i was hanging

01:53:17 - 01:53:22 | Speaker 2:

well she got the notification yeah she got the notification on the date right what was your move

01:53:22 - 01:53:28 | Speaker 3:

did you go to the men's room okay but you can get a notification like from from a match like

01:53:28 - 01:53:49 | Speaker 4:

months ago that's not can you yeah so it all depends on when she was using it he could have matched her earlier in the day, in the week, whatever it was, and if she's swiping now and then she says yes, that's when she got the match notification. That doesn't necessarily mean that he was doing it during the date.

01:53:49 - 01:53:53 | Speaker 2:

So you're not getting a notification like real time as it happens? You're getting a notification

01:53:53 - 01:53:55 | Speaker 4:

when the second person agrees

01:53:55 - 01:54:03 | Speaker 2:

to the match. Ah, okay. So was he the first or the second person? Oh, right.

01:54:04 - 01:54:04 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that I don't know.

01:54:05 - 01:54:07 | Speaker 1:

Do you see what I mean? What was it, Lucas?

01:54:08 - 01:54:22 | Speaker 3:

I was not scrolling Tinder. I mean, I was busy hanging out on the date with her, you know, meeting her girlfriends. I mean, to say that I'm scrolling Tinder and ghost me because you got, because your girlfriend got a match is kind of wild.

01:54:22 - 01:54:30 | Speaker 2:

Did you use the app at all that night? Well, then Sophia's friend was using it that night. I'm sorry? That's the only way it could work.

01:54:30 - 01:54:54 | Speaker 3:

Lucas, did you use the app at all that night? I don't think so. No. you know if you got on tinder no i honestly like you know you open apps when you're bored and no come on no so you were bored yeah oh my god come on what turn off my mic you can dig this

01:54:54 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 1:

hole there's there's a difference between opening up like an you know an app that's like

01:55:00 - 01:55:06 | Speaker 3:

I don't know, TMZ or something like that than opening up actually Tinder while you're on a date?

01:55:07 - 01:55:14 | Speaker 6:

I honestly don't think I did. And if I did, I wasn't sitting there scrolling. You know what I mean? It's not something I do on dates.

01:55:16 - 01:55:24 | Speaker 9:

I'm just turned off by the fact that you pursued my friend. I think it's just awkward. It's weird. And I don't want to get involved with that.

01:55:25 - 01:55:33 | Speaker 7:

Have you ever even met that friend like how because how would he know that it was your friend of course not i wouldn't even

01:55:33 - 01:55:39 | Speaker 3:

i wouldn't even have known nina what did you want what do you want to say nina second date update

01:55:39 - 01:55:50 | Speaker 5:

oh i was just gonna say if she got the notification while they were out that means she was swiping while they were out and she swiped yes on him while they were out yeah what about your friend

01:55:50 - 01:56:00 | Speaker 3:

sophia swiping away while she's out there i mean i know she's not on a date but it that it's interesting that she wasn't into the conversation that was going on with all you guys.

01:56:03 - 01:56:05 | Speaker 9:

I guess she was swiping. I don't really know.

01:56:06 - 01:56:16 | Speaker 7:

Okay, so let's pause there. So your friend who's sitting at the same table as this guy that you have gone out on a date with and are on a date, she swiped

01:56:16 - 01:56:18 | Speaker 6:

on him. Right. Right.

01:56:20 - 01:56:23 | Speaker 7:

I think you need to examine this friend. Right.

01:56:24 - 01:56:32 | Speaker 9:

I guess I have to talk with her and see what how it all went down but i'm not don't blame him hey rob what's up

01:56:32 - 01:56:48 | Speaker 1:

it's mojo in the morning rob hey uh yeah i was just gonna say everyone's cornering him but her her friend also knowingly matched um right knowingly so that's kind of like odd too

01:56:48 - 01:57:10 | Speaker 3:

that's a red flag actually on her head yeah and i by the way i get the idea that you're out with a group of friends and people are going to sit there and be swiping away because once you put alcohol in you, you always are horny, right? You're going to be looking around to see what's up. So I get the girl, but the moment that she notices, or did she not notice? I don't know. Maybe he wasn't recognizable.

01:57:11 - 01:57:15 | Speaker 8:

Do you know how often she and I defend the guys? Come on. Yeah. That's true. Yeah.

01:57:18 - 01:57:23 | Speaker 3:

Lynette wants to say something about this. What's up, Lynette? Hey there.

01:57:23 - 01:57:28 | Speaker 4:

It's a second date. I mean, come on. It doesn't really matter

01:57:28 - 01:57:29 | Speaker 3:

Thank you

01:57:29 - 01:57:33 | Speaker 4:

It doesn't really matter It's a second date

01:57:33 - 01:57:35 | Speaker 3:

There's no exclusivity

01:57:35 - 01:57:38 | Speaker 4:

No, there's no exclusivity So I think that's okay

01:57:38 - 01:57:42 | Speaker 3:

What's up Lucas? What were you going to say?

01:57:43 - 01:57:49 | Speaker 6:

It's kind of red flaggy on her part That she's this upset about it on a second date To be honest

01:57:49 - 01:57:53 | Speaker 3:

Ella says that there was a test going on here Amongst friends Is that what you're saying Ella?

01:57:53 - 01:58:21 | Speaker 8:

yeah i actually one of my my neighbors she she had a longtime friend who used to do this she would go on the app look for the guy that her friend had just matched with and started dating and she would match with them and then go on dates with them too and afterwards she'd go and say see he wouldn't have been loyal to you oh my god i feel like this is what you do five months in Not second date

01:58:21 - 01:58:22 | Speaker 6:

Right

01:58:22 - 01:58:22 | Speaker 8:

Yeah

01:58:22 - 01:58:25 | Speaker 6:

Well, that's not the case here Because she didn't know about it

01:58:25 - 01:58:30 | Speaker 3:

Katie believes in sabotage That's right, Katie?

01:58:31 - 01:58:31 | Speaker 5:

Yeah

01:58:31 - 01:58:33 | Speaker 4:

I think her friend was jealous

01:58:33 - 01:58:47 | Speaker 5:

And, like, maybe remembered that he, like, swiped on her beforehand And then she went and matched with him And then brought her friend into the bathroom And was like, oh, look I don't know It just seems like the friend was jealous Yeah

01:58:47 - 01:58:58 | Speaker 3:

Very shady Lucas and Sophia Knowing that both of you guys Might have misunderstood what exactly happened Would you guys want another date with each other?

01:59:00 - 01:59:12 | Speaker 6:

I mean If things can kind of calm down On the You know Accusations and stuff Then I'd love to But Yeah I don't know

01:59:12 - 01:59:16 | Speaker 9:

I think I'm going to avoid this It just feels Too messy already

01:59:16 - 01:59:19 | Speaker 3:

What about passing along your friend's phone number to Lucas?

01:59:21 - 01:59:29 | Speaker 9:

I mean, at this point, you guys could do what you will with it, I guess. I want to be out of the picture, though. Be careful of that friend.

01:59:30 - 01:59:31 | Speaker 3:

Second date update.

01:59:32 - 01:59:34 | Speaker 7:

Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:59:34 - 01:59:38 | Speaker 3:

We'll get you caught up on what's trending right now. Shannon, what you got in this hour's Dirty on the 30?

01:59:38 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 7:

Well, I mean, everybody's talking about it this morning. Yes, Rihanna is pregnant after that Super Bowl halftime performance had everybody talking. Speaking of, is she? Isn't she? It was confirmed by her team, by the way. So her and ASAP Rocky just had a baby back in May.

02:00:00 - 02:00:59 | Speaker 4:

pregnant again we don't know how far along she is or when she's due but beyond the pregnancy reveal rihanna set had lots of other things that people were talking about no special guest she did that all by herself had a viral moment where she touched up her makeup mid song giving a little shout out to her fenty makeup brand the product the invisimat instant setting and blotting powder in case you wanted to buy it one thing i kept seeing people posting about regarding the halftime show aside from the bump was the floating platforms i loved that those platforms reminded fans of watching a similar or a familiar video game super smash brothers and there were so many memes of her platforms and the super smash brothers platforms so that was great and then people definitely noticed one of riri's dance moves in particular i know i did it's the move where she seemed to grab her Christmas and lick her fingers?

02:01:00 - 02:01:01 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that was, I thought,

02:01:01 - 02:01:04 | Speaker 4:

I'm shocked that that

02:01:04 - 02:01:11 | Speaker 1:

will probably get complaints on the FCC. I would think that that would be interesting. I wonder what the NFL had to say about that because they always get worried about that.

02:01:12 - 02:01:14 | Speaker 3:

I didn't feel it was like that vulnerable.

02:01:14 - 02:01:16 | Speaker 1:

Oh, come on, Megan.

02:01:17 - 02:01:25 | Speaker 3:

Compared to everything else we've seen in our halftime shows, that was very tame. I thought that was right up there. It depends on your motivation. Y'all are getting so prude up in here.

02:01:25 - 02:01:29 | Speaker 2:

Some people watch the Super Bowl like, what am I going to be offended about tonight? I wasn't offended.

02:01:30 - 02:01:35 | Speaker 4:

I was not offended, but to see somebody touch their vagina and lick their fingers was a lot.

02:01:36 - 02:01:39 | Speaker 1:

I've seen that in porn. I've never seen that in a Super Bowl halftime show.

02:01:39 - 02:01:42 | Speaker 3:

Y'all are getting crazy out here.

02:01:42 - 02:01:43 | Speaker 1:

Oh, come on, Megan.

02:01:43 - 02:01:46 | Speaker 3:

Crazy. You genuinely get that far. Wait until you have kids.

02:01:46 - 02:01:47 | Speaker 1:

You're going to have kids and you're going to put them in front.

02:01:47 - 02:01:52 | Speaker 3:

Oh, it wasn't even that. And also, if I had kids, I would be like, this is healthy.

02:01:52 - 02:02:04 | Speaker 4:

McDonald's serving up a Super Bowl ad guest starring Cardi B and Offset that's promoting a new meal that is curated by the two of them just in time for Valentine's Day.

02:02:04 - 02:02:25 | Speaker 2:

You're always getting the filet-o-fish. You like french fries and milkshakes. Yes, I do. Cinco hamburguesas. Esa sería mi sorpresa para él. And I see. The commercials were just kind of lame, weren't they? Yeah. I mean, when you see John Travolta dancing around, singing Grease songs for T-Mobile, and Snoop wearing Skechers. I know he takes a check for everything.

02:02:25 - 02:02:30 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I agree with Megan. I thought the T-Mobile commercial with Bradley Cooper and his mom was probably my favorite.

02:02:30 - 02:02:33 | Speaker 2:

But I'm not scanning a QR code for anything, so just stop asking me to.

02:02:34 - 02:02:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that was annoying. And I didn't need a dog food ad to make me cry. Oh, the farmer's dog one? That was terribly hard. That was very unnecessary, and actually I hate your company, so how dare you?

02:02:46 - 02:03:23 | Speaker 4:

Sam Smith and Kim Petrus' controversial Grammy performance at the Grammy Awards, there we go, said that backwards, led to some FCC complaints. We're now learning the blood-red devil-esque costumes did not go over so well with some people. There were specifically 18 complaints filed with the FCC, with most of them slamming the performance for its glorification of Satan and devil worship. One viewer said the song had the potential to increase violence against Christians. Another wrote a letter taking offense to the BDSM and adult images. But overall, did get some complaints, which I kind of figured it would.

02:03:24 - 02:03:28 | Speaker 3:

I've met somebody who filed an FCC complaint and was like, I'd really like to be friends with you.

02:03:30 - 02:04:09 | Speaker 4:

And lastly, there's a new social media trend on the rise. It's called de-influencing. On TikTok and on Instagram, people are using their platforms to tell fans what not to buy, what's not worth the money. The number of Gen Zers interested in influencers has dropped about 12% since 2020. And so as a result, influencers are making viral videos listing like makeup products or shoes or purses or whatever that aren't worth the money. Or for example, what to cut out of your budget when planning a trip or a wedding. So that is the new hashtag that you'll see trending is de-influencing.

02:04:09 - 02:04:15 | Speaker 2:

And I like it because they're not making money off it. So, you know, it's authentic. It's not just somebody telling you something. You think so?

02:04:15 - 02:04:19 | Speaker 1:

They're not making money until they're making money off of it. The competitors may be paying them to.

02:04:19 - 02:04:29 | Speaker 3:

I was going to say, a lot of these people are talking bad about products that they're not paid to talk good about. Do we need to revisit the Mikayla TikTok drama with eyelashes and mascara? Do we need to?

02:04:30 - 02:04:37 | Speaker 1:

I just feel like we're getting sold so much these days, you know? Don't you? Like everything is a sale? Yeah, everything's suspect.

02:04:37 - 02:04:43 | Speaker 2:

You know, I don't know what you're talking about. But I shop at all. It's like go to get my Kia Sorento right now. I just got to finish.

02:04:44 - 02:04:47 | Speaker 4:

Chelsea Handler going to be in Kalamazoo at the State Theater on April the 15th. You got a pair of tickets. Congratulations to you.

02:05:28 - 02:05:32 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm going to take my valentine, my husband.

02:05:32 - 02:05:33 | Speaker 1:

Have fun, okay?

02:05:35 - 02:05:36 | Speaker 2:

I will. Thank you.

02:05:36 - 02:06:42 | Speaker 1:

Happy valentines to you. This would be a fun thing for you for your valentine's day. Not everybody needs to have a valentine. That's why we're doing the you do you valentine's day. And we got a couple last qualifiers for this. So here's the deal. You can win a $50 Lover's Lane gift card, and then you qualify for a $1,000 shopping spree. Here's the interesting thing, though. This is kind of a little stipulation. I know tomorrow's Valentine's Day, but we want to give this away to you now, and then we want to do the grand prize and have you do your shopping spree today. So we want to do it. This is going to be so weird for you to have to go back to work after this. We want to do it during your lunch hour. So what we want to do is we want you to call 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 to win and qualify for the $1,000 shopping spree. But you have to be available today in the afternoon to be able to go out with Spike and Shannon and myself.

02:06:42 - 02:06:44 | Speaker 2:

Because we all want to be there to see you win the grand prize.

02:06:44 - 02:06:46 | Speaker 1:

And KP and I know probably Lydia and stuff.

02:06:46 - 02:06:49 | Speaker 2:

And there's some little twists to it too.

02:06:49 - 02:07:19 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Yeah, there's going to be some twists. Actually, it's kind of funny because the twists, I think, are going to be fun. I guess we can explain the twist if we want to, right? I think we talked about it before. Yeah. What we're going to do is call now. Let's grab two callers, okay, Lydia? So I'll let you get a chance to count. So 95th and 104th callers. Your $1,000 shopping spree is going to take place with you blindfolded and handcuffed.

02:07:19 - 02:07:20 | Speaker 2:

Fuzzy.

02:07:20 - 02:07:28 | Speaker 1:

and anything that anything that you can grab in what is it how much time is it is it uh did we

02:07:28 - 02:07:39 | Speaker 2:

say 95 seconds i think i think it's something like that yeah he thought that was too long 95 seconds is how long that's only a minute and a half yeah that's yeah yeah that's a big store

02:07:39 - 02:07:51 | Speaker 1:

there's a lot of options we gotta i think 95 seconds so anything you can grab up to a thousand dollars so it can be so you know if you start grabbing uh that that doll there that costs like

02:07:51 - 02:07:57 | Speaker 2:

ten thousand dollars or something like that even just like the toys are i mean that's expensive

02:07:57 - 02:08:14 | Speaker 1:

yeah a good one at least i'm excited that we get to just go into a lover's lane all of us together and just say hey guys what's going on and then you get to go back to work afterwards the fun part is going to be coming back to work afterwards here at the station and people are like oh where'd you

02:08:14 - 02:08:24 | Speaker 2:

guys go lovers lane i'm excited i'll walk in the store together so the person behind the register goes hey hey shannon how you been like what happens we're gonna find out who's a regular

02:08:24 - 02:08:50 | Speaker 1:

customer the usual what happens if that that happens i mean what happens if this is i mean this is our our lovers lane right it's the close one to us so um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 And by the way, no shame in taking care of yourself, you know, and going to a lover's lane to go do your thing.

02:08:50 - 02:08:53 | Speaker 2:

I still think you should be playing I Touch Myself during this.

02:08:53 - 02:08:54 | Speaker 1:

Would it be, you want me to?

02:08:54 - 02:08:55 | Speaker 2:

It just makes so much more sense.

02:08:55 - 02:09:39 | Speaker 1:

Can I tell you, though, I have an uncontrollable problem, though, when I go to the lover's lanes or any of those places. I giggle. I do. I get a little giggly when I go. And I don't know why that is But I don't know Sex to me is always like Even last night when I saw Rihanna Touching her vagina And then you know What seemingly looked like she was Sniffing or licking her finger Yeah some people think Some people think she was licking her fingers Other people have said that she was sniffing Which if she was sniffing I totally understand And then I'm with Megan on the fact that I don't think it was that bad Because anytime that I touch any part of my body I always sniff my hands right afterwards I mean, don't you?

02:09:40 - 02:09:41 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my Lord. It was done with intention.

02:09:42 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 1:

Whatever it was was part of the choreography. Yes, I do from time to time. I wouldn't do it in front of me. I stick my finger in my ear, sniff. I stick my finger in my belly button, sniff. Oh, we know. I've actually stuck it in the back of my pants, sniff. Yes, Megan? We should just be normalizing this behavior, Shannon. You're coming off as very judgmental.

02:10:00 - 02:10:01 | Speaker 4:

Well, I'm sorry.

02:10:01 - 02:10:02 | Speaker 2:

It's my personal opinion.

02:10:07 - 02:10:09 | Speaker 4:

See, isn't this so fitting?

02:10:09 - 02:10:10 | Speaker 2:

This will be yes.

02:10:10 - 02:10:11 | Speaker 4:

For You Do You.

02:10:11 - 02:11:07 | Speaker 2:

Yes. It is our mojo in the morning, You Do You Valentine's, and our winners, Alexis is a winner. Congratulations, Alexis. Thank you. I love you guys. I listen to you guys every morning. We love you, too. Who do you love more, us or you, when you do you? I think I love me more. Good for you. I like that. That's good. All right. Hang on. You're the 95th caller. Brianna? Yes, hello? You're also a winner. Congratulations to you. I love this. Hey, so here's the story, guys, and the reason why we had to, like, stipulate this, because we qualified some people last week, and we had to tell them that they had to be ready for this. Would you guys be able to meet us out today if you are the grand prize winner? Yes.

02:11:07 - 02:11:07 | Unknown:

Yeah.

02:11:07 - 02:11:12 | Speaker 2:

So both of you guys would be able to do that? What do you have going on today? Are you working, or are you guys off today?

02:11:13 - 02:11:16 | Speaker 4:

I work at 3.30 today. Yeah?

02:11:16 - 02:11:17 | Speaker 2:

I'm sorry. What were you saying?

02:11:18 - 02:11:20 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I work at 3.30 today.

02:11:21 - 02:11:27 | Speaker 2:

Oh, we can't get you. You cannot be late. We don't want you to be late for this.

02:11:27 - 02:11:28 | Speaker 4:

Right.

02:11:28 - 02:11:30 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I've got to make sure that you're...

02:11:30 - 02:11:31 | Speaker 4:

We can make that happen.

02:11:31 - 02:11:34 | Speaker 2:

Can you imagine if you're late for work? We'll call you in.

02:11:35 - 02:11:42 | Speaker 4:

Well, it's like when people are late here and they come in with Starbucks or Tim Hortons, you walk in late with a big old lover's lane bag.

02:11:44 - 02:11:54 | Speaker 2:

I couldn't imagine explaining that to my boss. Are any of the items items that you can't leave in your car trunk or whatever, you know, like something that you don't want in the cold?

02:11:54 - 02:11:57 | Speaker 4:

Well, it's not that cold today, so you're kind of lucky. You'll be okay.

02:11:59 - 02:12:42 | Speaker 2:

All right, well, congratulations to both you guys. You guys are qualified. We're going to set you up each with a $50 gift card to Lovers Lane, all right? Awesome. Thank you. All right, stand by. Mojo of the Morning. We're going to be paying bills coming up here in just a little bit. Channel 955, 104.5 SNX. and kiss good to have you guys on here i actually it's funny shannon was just telling me this i actually remember we did this in a trending story but i didn't realize that anyone that we know would do one of these stupid tiktok trends but who's doing this so i was out to dinner on saturday

02:12:42 - 02:13:35 | Speaker 4:

with um my family and my my younger sister was there and i was sitting right next to her and she got a text message from a girlfriend of hers and i just happened to see it and it was a photo of her friend with the sides of her mouth taped shut with like scotch tape it looked like to me I'm like what in the actual heck is she doing well apparently tiktok has made her believe that being a nose breather when you sleep is much healthier than being a mouth breather so she's been and this is not my sister this is my sister's friend she's been scotch taping her mouth shut every night for the past couple of weeks so that she only breathes out of her nose and i don't know i didn't ask i don't know the health benefits of this or whatever if you do you can call in please but my sister didn't believe her so she made her send her a photo and so that's why she was texting her photos

02:13:35 - 02:13:47 | Speaker 2:

that has to be dangerous though right well they did the report that i remember i did in trending news was warning was warning that people were hurting themselves yeah i mean it just and she's

02:13:47 - 02:13:53 | Speaker 4:

married too with kids so that has to look so funny what's so sad that like you're there with

02:13:53 - 02:14:06 | Speaker 1:

your mouth taped shut all night long but it's so sad like that every two months we have to do a warning to people to don't copy what you saw on tiktok like america's just that dumb that we have to remind people like taping your mouth shut might not be good for you but they looked like they were

02:14:06 - 02:14:15 | Speaker 4:

alive in the tiktok that i saw honestly i wish i could do that i am the ugliest sleeper because i I sleep with my mouth wide open.

02:14:15 - 02:14:25 | Speaker 2:

All right, so here's a question for you then. Because I was having this discussion over the weekend with some of Chelsea's friends. And we were talking about when you first start dating someone and you're spending the night together.

02:14:26 - 02:14:26 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:14:26 - 02:14:55 | Speaker 2:

Do you sleep? And the question brought up, and every one of the women that were part of this group all said the first night that they slept together, they got done fooling around, having sex, whatever. and they waited until he went to bed before they would even attempt. They pretended to be asleep because they were so fearful of them snoring, farting, burping, moaning. That's another one. Like one of Chelsea's friends was a moaner.

02:14:55 - 02:14:56 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:14:56 - 02:14:57 | Speaker 2:

Did you ever worry about that?

02:14:57 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 4:

I worried, well, I told Wes.

02:15:00 - 02:15:44 | Speaker 7:

right away that I'm an ugly sleeper and I sleep with my mouth wide open because you guys know this I fall asleep like anywhere anytime so I knew that I wasn't gonna get around that the the thought of farting when I slept actually did keep both of us awake for a while when we first started spending the night at each other's houses and it finally got to the point where he's just like I can't like my stomach hurts I can't hold this in anymore yeah so we just had to but like Okay, so he took this picture of me sleeping in the car on the way home from dinner the other night. I will not post this. Look at how bad. Look at that. Oh, why would you not post that? Are you out of your damn mind? That is the funniest thing ever. No, look at how many chins I have. Look at my mouth wide open. Your jowls are normal.

02:15:45 - 02:15:47 | Speaker 4:

You've got to be able to share those things off.

02:15:47 - 02:15:49 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God. It is the worst photo.

02:15:49 - 02:15:59 | Speaker 6:

You know, it's like at one point you can take comfort and say, well, you know what? He accepts me for who I am. He obviously loves me. Oh, he trolls the heck out of me. But that's the thing. and then he takes pictures.

02:16:00 - 02:16:17 | Speaker 4:

Chelsea said that I've recently been Darth Vader breathing at night. So I've been sleeping really deep where my sleep pattern. She said at first, she actually didn't know if it was me or the dog that was like in pattern like that.

02:16:17 - 02:16:28 | Speaker 5:

What would be fun to do is get one of those apps. I think you get them on the Apple Watch where it literally records every time you make a noise. Yes. Just to see what you'd sound like in the middle of the night. Actually, Mike, it's funny that you say that.

02:16:28 - 02:16:41 | Speaker 4:

You can do that. You can hit the button and it will tell you what it sounds like. I don't think Chelsea would let me do that because I don't think she wants me to hear what she sounded like. You know, when you're doing it. But could you imagine if you're sleeping next time?

02:16:49 - 02:16:58 | Speaker 7:

Okay, so a lot of people take their mouths shut. Mouths shut. There we go. And apparently it is good for you.

02:16:58 - 02:16:59 | Speaker 4:

Trent, do you do it?

02:17:00 - 02:17:19 | Speaker 1:

I don't actually tape my mouth shut because I do breathe through my nose regularly through the day because it does have health benefits. But it makes sense if you do it during sleep. So your sister's friend is actually on to something. I mean, I don't know if I'd go as far as taping my mouth shut. But, yeah, breathing through your nose is a lot healthier than through your mouth.

02:17:20 - 02:17:21 | Speaker 4:

Interesting. Ireland, what's going on?

02:17:22 - 02:17:34 | Speaker 3:

Hey, I was calling because my dentist recommends mouth taping, and there's actually a brand called Somnifix, and they spell mouth tape. Oh, okay, maybe that's what she has.

02:17:34 - 02:17:35 | Speaker 7:

It looked like scotch tape to me, but.

02:17:36 - 02:17:43 | Speaker 4:

Well, and it's wild because Savannah said that there's a reason why some dentists will recommend this, and what's the reason?

02:17:45 - 02:17:56 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Savannah here. I'm a dental hygienist, So typically you want to sleep with your mouth closed because when you have a drier mouth, you're more susceptible to get cavities.

02:17:57 - 02:17:57 | Speaker 6:

Right.

02:17:57 - 02:18:07 | Speaker 2:

Because our saliva kind of acts like a buffer for our mouth, even though, you know, people think, oh, like there's a lot of bacteria in your mouth and in your saliva. It actually helps us prevent more cavities.

02:18:08 - 02:18:12 | Speaker 7:

This makes sense. I have, I'm a mouth breather and I have so many cavities.

02:18:12 - 02:18:17 | Speaker 6:

But when this started trending a few weeks ago, all these doctors were warning about it saying it's not good.

02:18:17 - 02:18:34 | Speaker 4:

Well, some people were having issues because at night they would do this, Savannah, and they would tape, and then the tape would move as the night was going on, and they were having issues, and they were saying, don't do that because you could suffocate yourself.

02:18:34 - 02:18:45 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I wouldn't recommend taping your mouth, just maybe trying to be more conscious about it, and maybe throughout the day try not to be a mouth breather, but I wouldn't personally tape my mouth shut.

02:18:45 - 02:18:57 | Speaker 4:

My dentist actually made a mouth guard for me because I was, you know, grinding some of my teeth. I have one, too. And it is so hard to, like, keep in my mouth because I feel like I'm suffocating when I have that thing in my mouth.

02:18:57 - 02:19:03 | Speaker 7:

So mine is actually Invisalign. Like, it's exactly the same thing as Invisalign, but it's just a retainer.

02:19:03 - 02:19:07 | Speaker 4:

Mine looks like Patrick Mahomes'. It's gold. No, I'm just kidding.

02:19:08 - 02:19:08 | Speaker 7:

That's kind of awesome.

02:19:08 - 02:19:09 | Speaker 4:

Do you ever see Patrick Mahomes'?

02:19:09 - 02:19:12 | Speaker 7:

Is yours rubbery, though? Or is it plastic?

02:19:13 - 02:19:25 | Speaker 4:

It's not necessarily rubbery. it is plastic. It's like a harder plastic. Yeah. And it keeps you from grinding your teeth. Patrick Mahomes, you ever notice when he's in the game,

02:19:25 - 02:19:31 | Speaker 6:

he eats his... Yeah, I'll just chew on it. And pop it out and chew on it. Which is funny because I always think to myself

02:19:31 - 02:19:58 | Speaker 4:

does that really protect his teeth if somebody does go after him and tackle him. Alright. It's Mojo in the morning show. What do we got? We got a bunch of stuff coming up here oh we we got to make sure we get to lydia because um friday we had it scheduled and we never got to it because we ran so late in the show lydia is going on a date with her ex or did go on a date right did you guys already you guys already went on the date

02:20:00 - 02:20:30 | Speaker 2:

second date update on that okay is that a common thing with Valentine's Day when we come back here in just a second we want you to call us up and tell us who actually will go out on a date with their ex even though they're exes just so that they can have a date for Valentine's Day and do you do it for that reason oh there's the Star Wars music again I don't know why that thing just came out 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 Can we get him on the phone with us, too?

02:20:30 - 02:20:32 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I actually just texted him. I'm like, can I call you?

02:20:33 - 02:20:42 | Speaker 2:

Second date update. This is my love affair, Chaldean guy, right? What do we call him? What is the name that we have? Gas station guy? Gas station guy.

02:20:42 - 02:20:42 | Unknown:

I love it.

02:20:42 - 02:20:49 | Speaker 2:

That's a scary text to get right after a date, though. Can I call you? Say Mojo wants to do a second date update with you.

02:20:51 - 02:21:05 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the morning show. So we already did the second date update this morning, But we got a second date update that involves a member of the Mojo in the Morning Show.

02:21:28 - 02:21:30 | Speaker 1:

I've been looking forward to this update.

02:21:30 - 02:21:46 | Speaker 2:

So Lydia, who answers your phones here, our producer, one of our producers, she has been like on and off again with this guy that we call Gas Station Boy. Who is it, Gas Station Boy or Gas Station Guy?

02:21:46 - 02:21:47 | Speaker 3:

Gas Station Guy.

02:21:47 - 02:21:58 | Speaker 2:

We like to call him a guy. And I really do like this guy And I hope that you guys would have a relationship with each other But what's the reason why You guys aren't like in full-fledged We're dating relationship

02:21:58 - 02:22:07 | Speaker 3:

I don't even know if I can confirm or deny Why we're not Because I genuinely, I don't know But I'm not going to put him in the hot seat for that I will

02:22:07 - 02:22:14 | Speaker 4:

You really want this relationship to happen again But he was the one that was kind of like Drugging his feet

02:22:14 - 02:22:19 | Speaker 3:

I think it was like in between, so it was back and forth There was, like, one point where he wanted to, and then I was like, eh.

02:22:19 - 02:22:25 | Speaker 2:

But you don't want to be alone on Valentine's Day. So you decided that you're going to go out to a date with him?

02:22:26 - 02:22:43 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. So this past weekend, we ended up going to dinner. He got me some flowers and some chocolate, and we spent some quality time together. I think it was, like, probably one of our best dates we've ever had. Did you guys call it a date? Yeah. I mean, I considered it a date. I don't know if he considered it a date.

02:22:43 - 02:22:46 | Speaker 1:

I wonder if this is common. A lot of exes get back together for Valentine's Day.

02:22:46 - 02:23:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'd like to know that because I felt like I was probably one of the very few who do do that because I was telling my friends that they were like, you don't go out with your ex for Valentine's Day. But granted, we've never spent a Valentine's Day together. So this was our first as exes.

02:23:00 - 02:23:29 | Speaker 2:

By the way, it is common, Spike, because there is a stat that we did not that long ago on the air that said that one in six people end up hooking up with their ex right around this time of the year. They end up coming through the holidays single and they say, I don't want to spend Valentine's by myself. So they end up, you know, getting together with their other exes. Hold on. Let's pick them up. Gas station guy. Hello. How are you?

02:23:30 - 02:23:31 | Speaker 5:

Good. How are you, Mojo?

02:23:31 - 02:23:35 | Speaker 2:

Good. Are you at the gas station right now or are we calling you at home?

02:23:36 - 02:23:36 | Speaker 5:

No, I'm home.

02:23:37 - 02:24:01 | Speaker 2:

You're at home. So how was your date? How did you like it? Because it sounded from Lydia's. Hold on. Let me get the appropriate music here. How was that? Oh, no, that's the wrong music. That's the wrong song. Why did that song play? Hold on a second here. Let me play the music. Oh, there we go. How was the date that you guys had? Or do you call it a date?

02:24:02 - 02:24:15 | Speaker 5:

I think we do. We do. Finally, we've had a really good time together. Like a quality time. And we are thinking that it's becoming a perfect relationship that we thought we could do.

02:24:15 - 02:24:22 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so you're thinking about it. What is holding you back from being boyfriend-girlfriend?

02:24:24 - 02:24:44 | Speaker 5:

So I've known Lydia for about three years now. And we were friends and we got in a relationship and we stopped. So we've had our ups and downs. We've had some conflict Between each other and families Trying to learn each other And now I think we're in a better place

02:24:44 - 02:24:47 | Speaker 2:

What's the conflict with the family stuff? What's that, Lydia?

02:24:47 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 3:

I don't think it was more like me having a conflict With his or him having a conflict with mine But I think it's more so getting our families to Get used to each other, introduce each other a little bit And it's different when you're Caldean You have to smooth that in

02:24:59 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 2:

Didn't we?

02:25:00 - 02:25:05 | Speaker 1:

bring that up on the air, though? You have some protective sisters, don't you, gas station guy?

02:25:06 - 02:25:11 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, yeah. Well, it's more like between her and I to learn each other about our family.

02:25:12 - 02:25:14 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Do your sisters like

02:25:14 - 02:25:15 | Speaker 3:

Lydia? He has one sister.

02:25:16 - 02:25:22 | Speaker 1:

She's great. Does your sister like her? Yeah, she does. Because if she doesn't, I'll have a conversation

02:25:22 - 02:25:29 | Speaker 4:

with her. So you guys go out this weekend. Did anything happen at the end? Hug? A little kiss on the forehead or lips?

02:25:29 - 02:25:31 | Speaker 3:

Do you care to tell her? Or do you want me to tell her?

02:25:32 - 02:25:39 | Speaker 4:

We kissed. Did you? Was that your first kiss? Our first kiss ever? Oh, wait, because you guys actually dated.

02:25:39 - 02:25:40 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:25:40 - 02:25:40 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

02:25:40 - 02:25:47 | Speaker 3:

No, I'm going to be honest. We kiss every time. On the lips? Yeah. Every time we see each other, we do. All right.

02:25:49 - 02:25:49 | Speaker 1:

Interesting.

02:25:50 - 02:25:51 | Speaker 4:

Was there more than that?

02:25:51 - 02:25:52 | Speaker 3:

Mm-mm. No.

02:25:53 - 02:25:57 | Speaker 1:

That's it. That's all you get. What did he pick?

02:25:57 - 02:25:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, this is sparks reigniting here.

02:25:59 - 02:25:59 | Speaker 1:

I like it.

02:26:00 - 02:26:03 | Speaker 4:

Flowers, chocolates, a nice dinner, quality time.

02:26:04 - 02:26:06 | Speaker 1:

So what's going to happen with you guys? Are you guys going to stay together?

02:26:07 - 02:26:09 | Speaker 3:

That's a question for him.

02:26:10 - 02:26:12 | Speaker 1:

What do you think? Are you guys going to be exclusive?

02:26:14 - 02:26:21 | Speaker 5:

I think we are still so far, even though we're not in a relationship, but we've been exclusive since we stopped dating.

02:26:21 - 02:26:21 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:26:22 - 02:26:22 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

02:26:23 - 02:26:24 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:26:24 - 02:26:26 | Speaker 2:

Nobody, oh, you don't agree with that?

02:26:26 - 02:26:40 | Speaker 3:

i mean i don't think anything's exclusive unless it's like made official correct or if i'm if i'm wrong i could be wrong but unless someone says like you have to have that you're my girlfriend you're my boyfriend like i feel like yeah we could hang out talk to each other all day every day keep

02:26:40 - 02:26:45 | Speaker 1:

up but like you need that so if another guy asked you out you'd go out with him no then what do you

02:26:45 - 02:26:57 | Speaker 3:

mean by that but i i just feel like you need a title in place that's only because of my like i feel like that's like my own personal boundaries like i i cannot keep up with more than one person And it's a respect thing But I feel like

02:26:57 - 02:27:00 | Speaker 1:

Do you believe he has not gone out with anybody In the time that you guys have been out?

02:27:00 - 02:27:03 | Speaker 3:

I believe he hasn't Have you, gas station guy?

02:27:04 - 02:27:04 | Speaker 1:

Nobody

02:27:04 - 02:27:06 | Speaker 5:

No, I share my location

02:27:06 - 02:27:10 | Speaker 2:

Oh, wait a second If you're sharing locations

02:27:10 - 02:27:12 | Speaker 1:

Then there's something more to this

02:27:12 - 02:27:29 | Speaker 2:

Is that official in 2023? But I think she's right I think it's one thing to say Oh, we're exclusive Neither of us are interested in dating anyone else It's another thing to put a title on it and make her feel good about, I have someone in my life, it's just taking it to the next logical conclusion.

02:27:29 - 02:27:43 | Speaker 1:

Does everything need a title, though? Yes. Listeners need to tell us what they think. Does Lydia and gas station guy need to be titling this relationship, or can they just say that they're dating each other or going out on dates with each other?

02:27:43 - 02:27:57 | Speaker 2:

Because of their history, I feel like they've been through this before several times, and now nobody's getting younger, so it's like either poop or get off the pot. Let me know. I got somebody in my life, and there's potential for this to forward, advance into something.

02:27:57 - 02:27:58 | Speaker 4:

You don't want there to be any gray area.

02:27:58 - 02:28:05 | Speaker 1:

The problem, though, in the Chaldean culture is that once that happens, you guys got to get married then.

02:28:05 - 02:28:11 | Speaker 2:

Well, I'm guessing. I don't want to put words in your mouth, Lydia. I don't think Lydia wants to spend another three years figuring out whether or not she's interested.

02:28:11 - 02:28:12 | Speaker 3:

How old are you again? I'm 25.

02:28:13 - 02:28:16 | Speaker 1:

Are you ready to get married, though? Doesn't it happen like that?

02:28:16 - 02:28:17 | Speaker 3:

No, I'm not ready for marriage right now.

02:28:17 - 02:28:33 | Speaker 1:

But doesn't that happen, though? Girls can't date guys. Guys can date if they're Chaldean For those who don't know what Chaldeans are They're Iraqi Catholics But you can't be out there dating You gotta be just like Mom, dad, look, I'm married Or I'm getting married

02:28:33 - 02:28:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so like my mom knows about him My dad, I don't really

02:28:37 - 02:28:38 | Speaker 1:

You would still not tell your dad about him

02:28:38 - 02:28:43 | Speaker 3:

And your mom really likes him Yeah, she does If I remember talking to her about him Okay Yeah, so dad, if you're listening No, you're not

02:28:43 - 02:29:11 | Speaker 1:

Well, as your radio dad I like this guy I actually really do like this guy a lot. But I sit there and I think to myself, uh-oh, does this mean that if he doesn't want to put a title on this, is he really wanting more? Gas station guy as her father? Come on in this room. I've got a shotgun over here in the corner if you say the wrong things.

02:29:12 - 02:29:13 | Speaker 2:

Twirl around a bullet.

02:29:15 - 02:29:20 | Speaker 5:

No, I think we're working together to get to that point. That's all I can say.

02:29:21 - 02:29:28 | Speaker 1:

Since you own a gas station Will you let Lydia Gas for free anytime she needs to

02:29:28 - 02:29:30 | Speaker 5:

Oh she hates to come there

02:29:30 - 02:29:33 | Speaker 3:

I don't come there because His family watches the cameras

02:29:33 - 02:29:35 | Speaker 2:

Oh really okay

02:29:35 - 02:29:37 | Speaker 3:

They can see so like I can't come and hang out with you

02:29:37 - 02:29:40 | Speaker 2:

Well you can if you pick up a shift And then maybe you know you're just

02:29:40 - 02:29:41 | Speaker 3:

Hire me

02:29:41 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 1:

Chelsea worked at a smoothie place When we first started dating And I used to come to the smoothie place all the time and hang out And it was actually kind of embarrassing because I would go in there and everybody would go, your boyfriend's here, you know what I mean? And it was a little embarrassing, but I did go because I liked the smoothies too.

02:30:00 - 02:30:02 | Speaker 3:

Aside from a liking Chelsea. But Crystal, hello.

02:30:03 - 02:30:04 | Speaker 4:

Hey, how are you?

02:30:04 - 02:30:10 | Speaker 3:

Good. Does Lydia need to have a title to this whole thing? She feels like she does.

02:30:10 - 02:30:25 | Speaker 4:

I don't think it's fair to give her a title. I think it is. I don't think she necessarily has to. I'm Keldean, too. So I understand the culture and I understand the marriage situation. But it's not that serious. She can have a title. She doesn't need to worry about marriage. But she deserves to give her that one.

02:30:25 - 02:30:26 | Speaker 3:

What's the title? What should the title be?

02:30:27 - 02:30:37 | Speaker 4:

I think it should be boyfriend, girlfriend. I mean, she is technically his girlfriend. I don't think that dating is really fair because that just means he's allowed to date somebody else, and she is too.

02:30:38 - 02:30:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so, okay, so boyfriend, girlfriend, but you don't tell the dads.

02:30:43 - 02:31:07 | Speaker 4:

You know what? No, just keep the dads away from it. But in that sense, if she feels like it's that serious, I think maybe she can share it with her dad. I don't think. I think now it's time of day. It's a little bit different with our dads. I think our dads have opened their eyes to our country, and I feel like they know that our society is allowed to date. They don't have to be pressured into marriage at all.

02:31:08 - 02:31:11 | Speaker 3:

All right, good points there. Danny, what's up? Your comments?

02:31:12 - 02:31:14 | Speaker 5:

Hey, what's up, Mojo? How's everybody?

02:31:14 - 02:31:16 | Speaker 3:

Good. What's happening? Say hello to Gas Station.

02:31:16 - 02:31:40 | Speaker 5:

So I have a sister and a sister-in-law, and me and my brother and my brother-in-law, we have literally like seven girls and two boys in the whole family. like the younger kids. So my sister was never able to date or nothing, even like, you know, usually you know how it is with the Chaldeans. So I came up with a saying, it's a CBP, Chaldean boy privilege.

02:31:40 - 02:31:47 | Speaker 2:

Right, right. But isn't it up to your generation and Lydia's generation to kind of help to twist that a little bit and change it?

02:31:47 - 02:31:57 | Speaker 5:

It kind of eased out from the last generation. Yeah. It did ease out from the last generation, where now it's a little bit acceptable. I do have three daughters. My oldest is in high school.

02:31:58 - 02:32:14 | Speaker 3:

But I will say this. I'm going to say this to Danny and gas station guy. The thing I've noticed is the Chaldean guys that do call their girls their girlfriends sometimes don't ever marry those girls. And that scares me.

02:32:15 - 02:32:20 | Speaker 5:

So we've been together 20 now, but we've been together for five years and she forced me to marry me.

02:32:20 - 02:32:35 | Speaker 3:

She forced me. Because sometimes I'll see that they'll be like, okay, we're boyfriend-girlfriend. And then next thing you know, they're all of a sudden marrying somebody else. And you're like, what the hell just happened? I thought you were dating so-and-so. And then the guys kind of have like a weird twist or change of plan.

02:32:36 - 02:32:38 | Speaker 5:

Sometimes the family gets involved, and that's where the issue is.

02:32:38 - 02:32:41 | Speaker 1:

Danny, how does somebody force you to marry them?

02:32:42 - 02:32:47 | Speaker 5:

I'm just kidding. I don't know why. Taking notes. I just mess with her all the time.

02:32:47 - 02:32:50 | Speaker 3:

All right. So gas station guy, are you willing to put a title on this?

02:32:51 - 02:32:52 | Speaker 1:

No pressure.

02:32:53 - 02:32:54 | Speaker 5:

I think we're getting there. We're getting there.

02:32:54 - 02:32:59 | Speaker 3:

We're getting there. You guys have been getting around for a long time now. Come on.

02:33:02 - 02:33:03 | Speaker 5:

He's not taking any heat.

02:33:05 - 02:33:10 | Speaker 1:

No, don't be nervous. It's okay. No pressure. Look, he's quiet now.

02:33:10 - 02:33:11 | Speaker 3:

It's not awkward at all.

02:33:11 - 02:33:12 | Speaker 1:

No.

02:33:12 - 02:33:19 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no. Don't mess with our girl, though. Don't you treat her right, okay? I know you already do. I like you for that.

02:33:20 - 02:33:22 | Speaker 5:

I try my best. Trust me. All right.

02:33:22 - 02:33:30 | Speaker 1:

This makes me so nervous because I just think about what if Lydia was my daughter? Like, it's very hard to listen to somebody go, I don't really know. I don't really know if I can. You know what I mean?

02:33:30 - 02:33:34 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, because her heart's all in, and you just want that to be matched or else move on.

02:33:34 - 02:33:35 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Beth?

02:33:37 - 02:33:41 | Speaker 4:

I was just calling to say that, Lydia, Hallmark called. They want their movie back.

02:33:43 - 02:33:46 | Speaker 3:

It is kind of. It's the Chaldean Hallmark movie.

02:33:47 - 02:33:48 | Speaker 5:

Yes.

02:33:48 - 02:33:59 | Speaker 2:

Mojo, what would the title of the movie be with the gas station theme? You know they always have a real clever title of the movie I don't know She filled her tank and filled her heart

02:33:59 - 02:34:22 | Speaker 3:

I was thinking of You're my girlfriend bro Or something like that Alright thank you guys Take care of yourself Goodbye Lydia Lydia you gotta go back to the phones By the way I'm gonna throw this out there The gas station guy You know how many single guys are flirting with this girl all the time over our text messages and stuff.

02:34:22 - 02:34:23 | Speaker 1:

That is true.

02:34:23 - 02:34:25 | Speaker 3:

You might have to put a title on her.

02:34:25 - 02:34:27 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Are you worried about other guys?

02:34:29 - 02:34:29 | Speaker 3:

Me?

02:34:29 - 02:34:29 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:34:31 - 02:34:32 | Speaker 3:

Maybe.

02:34:33 - 02:34:33 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

02:34:35 - 02:34:38 | Speaker 3:

She's very faithful to you, though. She does. Oh, she is.

02:34:38 - 02:34:40 | Speaker 5:

I am, too. She knows that. She knows that.

02:34:40 - 02:34:41 | Speaker 1:

Oh, she knows that.

02:34:41 - 02:34:42 | Speaker 3:

I like that.

02:34:44 - 02:34:47 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:34:47 - 02:34:49 | Speaker 3:

All right, Shannon, what you got in this hour's dirty?

02:34:49 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 1:

Well, last night was the second Super Bowl win for Patrick Mahomes. It hasn't even sat in yet. I think just the time of my career, I got it.

02:35:00 - 02:35:12 | Speaker 4:

and the failure of the last two years of losing the Super Bowl and then losing an AFC championship game, this one hits different. The first one, it was all, like, happy-go-lucky, everything like that. This one, you appreciate the hard work that it took to get here.

02:35:12 - 02:35:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, the commercials were okay, some good ones, some eh ones. A stellar halftime performance from our girl Rihanna. Taking the Super Bowl by storm, reminding everybody what we've been missing for almost seven years. An epic 13-minute set, just hit after hit. And if you missed the news somehow, she is pregnant with baby number two for her and A$AP Rocky. That was confirmed by her team. Actually left the stadium last night with A$AP Rocky and her son in tow. So everybody was on hand.

02:35:55 - 02:36:01 | Speaker 4:

Therefore, not only reminding us what we missed, but also reminding us we're going to miss it a lot longer. There's going to be no album tour.

02:36:01 - 02:36:37 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, like no announcements yesterday aside from the pregnancy. No tour announcement, no new music announcement, nothing. Jason and Travis Kelsey were the first set of brothers to ever play against each other in the Super Bowl. And unfortunately for the Kelsey family, only one could go home victorious. After the Chiefs defeated the Eagles, Travis was celebrating on the winner's platform with Patrick Mahomes. Jason, on the other hand, did you see, he was real emotional when he saw his mama on the field after the game. It was so sweet. And the NFL posted a couple of videos and photos of that moment, and the caption said, Mama's always, or Mom's always there, is what it said.

02:36:37 - 02:36:48 | Speaker 3:

I thought that that was a really cool emotional moment, and I thought, honestly, we didn't talk about it, because maybe, because we don't think it's our format, but Chris Stapleton's national anthem was spectacular.

02:36:48 - 02:36:49 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I really liked it. Yeah.

02:36:50 - 02:37:11 | Speaker 3:

And when you saw the coach of the Eagles crying, I mean, the emotions, not only of the fact that you were at the Super Bowl, but then the emotions of this bringing our country together, the Super Bowl, that was awesome. Chris Tableton, by the way, might be compared to Whitney Houston as far as one of the best national anthems that has ever been known.

02:37:11 - 02:37:11 | Speaker 1:

That was great.

02:37:12 - 02:37:15 | Speaker 4:

And then also realizing the coach is going to be a meme for crying later when his team loses.

02:37:17 - 02:37:31 | Speaker 3:

It's funny, though, because he fits Philly's persona, though. Like, if you look at what he's like in postgame and press conferences and stuff like that, he's kind of a gritty, I don't care about, you know, offending people type of a guy.

02:37:31 - 02:37:39 | Speaker 4:

Speaking of gritty, we needed some better touchdown dances. I saw one person do the gritty, one person do the stanky leg, and then it was just like, not a lot of great, I wanted to see better dances out there.

02:37:40 - 02:37:42 | Speaker 3:

Jason Kelsey did something that I thought.

02:37:42 - 02:37:45 | Speaker 1:

Jason Kelsey, I was like, oh, yay, I got to walk out of my kitchen.

02:37:45 - 02:37:49 | Speaker 3:

I'm surprised the FCC doesn't go after him instead of the Rihanna for that. That was pretty interesting.

02:37:50 - 02:37:57 | Speaker 1:

And I do want to talk really briefly, I don't want to talk about a ton of the commercials right now, But did you guys see the U2 commercial with, like, the...

02:37:57 - 02:37:57 | Speaker 3:

Which one?

02:37:58 - 02:37:58 | Speaker 1:

The balloon.

02:37:59 - 02:38:08 | Speaker 3:

The balloon! Yeah, they... The balloon! Maybe this balloon... Maybe this Chinese balloon thing is really not anything other than a ploy for U2. I know. The band.

02:38:08 - 02:38:09 | Speaker 1:

I saw so many people posting this.

02:38:09 - 02:38:11 | Speaker 3:

And I think this is my dog thing has been spotted over the skies.

02:38:12 - 02:38:29 | Speaker 4:

So we is... Coincidence? You know, it's my favorite band. And so, like, it's the worst kept secret in the world that they were going to be the first band to unveil this new arena in Vegas, the Sphere. So we all knew it was coming But I never thought about the connection Of the weekend's headlines Like oh this is kind of awkward now

02:38:29 - 02:38:45 | Speaker 2:

Can I tell you what made me so mad When Rihanna was doing the first Apple halftime show I thought they're going to pull a U2 And we're going to get a new Rihanna album Just on our iPhones And then I saw a U2 commercial At the end and it felt like it was taunting me And I didn't like it

02:38:45 - 02:38:47 | Speaker 4:

They'll never do that again Everybody got so pissed off

02:38:47 - 02:38:50 | Speaker 2:

Well it was justified because it was U2 But everyone loves Rihanna

02:38:50 - 02:40:58 | Speaker 1:

In other Dirty this morning, what's going on with Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly? Trying to figure this one out. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Megan wrote alongside some photos, hot photos of herself, by the way, you can taste the dishonesty. It's all over your breath. In the quotes from Beyonce's song Pray You Catch Me from her Lemonade album, obviously an album all about Jay-Z cheating on her. And she also responded to the rumors that MGK cheated on her, specifically with a guitarist by the name of Sophie Lloyd. And so on the comments by Celeb's Instagram, I noticed she responded to a comment about this theory that it's Sophie writing, maybe I got with Sophie, alongside a flame emoji. And then she unfollowed everybody except for three people, Timothee Chalamet, Harry Styles, and Eminem. That's it. And the Eminem follow is interesting because he's beefed in the past with MGK. So I am hearing from a few good sources. They are still very much together. She's just trolling. She likes to do this sort of thing. but I do not have confirmation of that, so we'll see if it happens here. And speaking of Eminem, Ryan Shepard, who acted as Eminem's stunt double in the early... 2000s has died 40 years old such a tragic story died from getting hit while attempting to cross a street um and he not only worked as eminem's stunt double but also as his photo double in stand-in i know he did the mtv movie awards as eminem's superhero character rat boy took the stage again for marshall's 2002 anger management tour on his japan and europe tour the following year, also appearing in D12's Purple Hills music video as Eminem's double, but he died in Washington two weeks ago after getting hit by a pickup truck while trying to cross the street. Emergency responders rushed him to the hospital. It was too late. It was awful. And let's end on some happy news today. Blake Lively has given birth to her fourth child with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, the newest little one. We don't have a name or a photo or any info yet, but joins big sisters James Inez. And Betty.

02:40:58 - 02:41:05 | Speaker 3:

Rihanna, of us, kind of upscales her or takes over the press. Well, yeah, yeah, yeah.

02:41:05 - 02:41:09 | Speaker 1:

For all of today's Dirty, check out that Dirty page on thejournthemorning.com.

Mojo in the morning's dirt.

02:41:11 - 02:41:13 | Speaker 2:

And another phone scam coming up in minutes.

02:41:15 - 02:41:34 | Speaker 3:

You're in for a treat. It's a special Valentine's phone scam and a proposal. Justin? Yeah. Are you sure you want to do this? Times now or never, you know. Well, I'm not talking about the proposal. I'm talking about the scam. If you scam her and she gets so upset, she may not accept your proposal.

02:41:35 - 02:41:42 | Speaker 4:

You know, I mean, look, if she gets that upset over this, I think she has a good sense of humor. I think she's going to dig it.

02:41:43 - 02:41:49 | Speaker 2:

So what you emailed to me is you've been up for new jobs within your company. There would be a promotion, but it would require you moving to a new city?

02:41:50 - 02:42:12 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I mean, that's the thing. I've wanted to get married for a while. I've always kind of been ready. I just needed probably some more cash and maybe a little more job stability. And then this job came up. I've been telling her about it. She didn't know if it was going to happen or not. But she said there's no moving, you know, unless there's a ring on her finger and she won't get married. I believe in marriage. She believes in it. So I figured now's the time to do it. All right.

02:42:12 - 02:42:27 | Speaker 2:

So you've had this conversation a bunch of times. Now, I'm going to call her as someone from your work and make her think you took a job without even talking to her. I'm a little nervous, though. All right, so you just listen, and you think about the big payoff at the end. That's what you've got to work on.

02:42:28 - 02:42:32 | Speaker 3:

All right, guys. All right, here we go. It's Mojo in the Morning Phone Scams.

02:42:38 - 02:42:42 | Speaker 2:

Hello? Hello, this is Winfield Gladwish. May I speak to Justin, please?

02:42:43 - 02:42:44 | Speaker 5:

He's not here right now. He's a message.

02:42:45 - 02:42:46 | Speaker 2:

Okay, great. Is this Brandy?

02:42:47 - 02:42:48 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it is.

02:42:48 - 02:43:24 | Speaker 2:

Well, you must be very excited about his promotion. I'm sorry. You must be excited for Justin about his promotion. Could you just let him know that Winfield called and I got the green light for a start date of the 4th? I just need him to confirm a few things like whether or not he needs corporate housing until you guys get settled. And, you know, also he's supposed to be working on some estimates for our moving expenses. Wait, what? I'm sorry, I'm going too fast. Moving expenses. We cover the middle of three estimates. If, you know, if you have companies come out to the house or we can just cover a flat $5,000, it's your choice. Justin wanted to get some estimates first before we gave him that decision.

02:43:26 - 02:43:29 | Speaker 5:

Wait. Wait, did Justin get a promotion?

02:43:30 - 02:43:32 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, a promotion. Didn't he talk to you about the job?

02:43:33 - 02:43:35 | Speaker 5:

Wait, this is all new to me. I don't know what you're talking about.

02:43:36 - 02:43:48 | Speaker 2:

Uh-oh. Did I just let the horse out of the stable? Did he not tell you about the new job? What new job? The promotion, senior analyst, risk management, Charlotte, North Carolina branch, home of the Bobcats.

02:43:49 - 02:43:51 | Speaker 5:

Wait, Charlotte? Did he accept the job in Charlotte?

02:43:52 - 02:44:03 | Speaker 2:

Yes, ma'am. You sound sweeter than sweet to you, and I believe I just need to get back to you lovebirds after you have a discussion. I'm pretty sure I have a size 12 boot in my biscuit after sharing a little too many details. You didn't know about the job?

02:44:04 - 02:44:06 | Speaker 5:

No, he didn't. Wait, he took the job?

02:44:07 - 02:44:18 | Speaker 2:

Yes, ma'am, he did. We're very excited to have him on board, and we're excited to have you down here, too. You're going to love it down here. You like NASCAR? No, I don't like the NASCAR. We have very nice libraries.

02:44:20 - 02:44:21 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:44:21 - 02:44:25 | Speaker 2:

Anyway, I just need to know if he wants a corporate suite at the LaQuinta Inn or if he plan on finding a residence right away.

02:44:26 - 02:44:29 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God, I can't even believe this. Okay.

02:44:30 - 02:44:36 | Speaker 2:

I can't help but notice you sound a little ruffled. Maybe you'd like to confer with Justin about all this and then have him give me a call back tomorrow?

02:44:38 - 02:44:42 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I need to talk to Justin about this, and then...

02:44:42 - 02:44:50 | Speaker 2:

Geez, now I feel embarrassed. You're just as sweet as syrup on a strawberry sundae, and I think I didn't realize he didn't talk to you about this yet.

02:44:50 - 02:44:53 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'm a little taken off guard by this, too.

02:44:54 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 2:

I'm sorry. It sure was nice to meet you. Listen, I can't wait to meet you. You talk to him. It's going to be great.

02:45:00 - 02:45:02 | Speaker 3:

And I feel horrible about this.

02:45:03 - 02:45:06 | Speaker 4:

It's okay. We'll be...

02:45:06 - 02:45:12 | Speaker 3:

Maybe I can put you on with my manager. Maybe he could tell you the situation. Can I put you on with my manager?

02:45:13 - 02:45:14 | Speaker 4:

No, that's okay.

02:45:14 - 02:45:20 | Speaker 3:

All right, that's okay. Here, let me put you on with Justin. Hey, Justin? Hey, babe. Brandy.

02:45:20 - 02:45:25 | Speaker 4:

Hey, this is... It's just a phone scam. Wait, what?

02:45:25 - 02:45:27 | Speaker 3:

Brandy, you recognize that voice, right?

02:45:27 - 02:45:27 | Speaker 4:

Wait.

02:45:28 - 02:45:34 | Speaker 3:

This is Mojo on the morning show. You're on the radio, and that's your boyfriend, Justin. And he's not really moving anywhere.

02:45:34 - 02:45:36 | Speaker 4:

You are such an a**hole.

02:45:39 - 02:45:50 | Speaker 3:

Wait a minute, wait a minute now. Before you come down too hard on Justin, there's one more detail we didn't share. We're going to end this phone scam a little differently for our listeners. Justin, you want to take care of this one?

02:45:52 - 02:46:22 | Speaker 4:

I love you. You're the love of my life. i can't imagine ever going through life without you you make me laugh every day make me smile you make me happy you make me proud to be alive and i just love every single thing about you from every minute we're together every minute you know you were apart i'm always thinking about you and i wanted to kind of make it special and i wanted to know if you will you marry me

02:46:22 - 02:46:29 | Speaker 5:

what oh my god are you serious yes we got a yes

02:46:29 - 02:46:34 | Speaker 3:

this part is not a thing congratulations brandy

02:46:34 - 02:46:38 | Speaker 4:

oh my god thank you guys yeah

02:46:38 - 02:46:50 | Speaker 3:

oh my god i feel weird playing the phone scam jingle after this one should i not then uh you You're going to have to, yeah.

02:46:52 - 02:47:09 | Speaker 5:

We will, we will scam you. Laugh all you want. We'll get you eventually. The world famous. Is the home of the world famous phone scams. Mojo in the Morning. This is Mojo in the Morning live.

02:47:11 - 02:47:37 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning show. What commercials were voted the best commercials? We'll have that for you in just a couple of minutes. And one of the stars of one of the commercials is going to be on with us. A little surprise, they randomly out of the blue contacted us and said, hey, can we zoom into the show and talk to you guys? So we'll talk to them coming up here in a second. Megan has a new side hustle. Is that right, Megan?

02:47:37 - 02:47:46 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you guys, I'm going to be rich. I'm getting into a new tax bracket. That's my goal for 2023. Nice. That's my resolution.

02:47:47 - 02:47:50 | Speaker 3:

Launch on Megan. Finally sign up for OnlyFans? Going to do the Feet thing?

02:47:50 - 02:48:03 | Speaker 1:

Sort of. This is my version of OnlyFans. So I checked my contract, and I guess technically we're not allowed to start OnlyFans, which I'd like to dispute that in a contract. You can get special permission. Can you? Sure.

02:48:04 - 02:48:07 | Speaker 2:

But it has to be, I think, charitable or something, right? Or no? I don't know.

02:48:07 - 02:48:08 | Speaker 1:

Well, my pockets are charitable.

02:48:10 - 02:48:12 | Speaker 2:

Actually, I don't know if we can do OnlyFans.

02:48:12 - 02:48:19 | Speaker 3:

I don't think so. Unless the company's making money off it. They won't even let us do Cameo. Yeah, but maybe put the station logo on your big toe.

02:48:21 - 02:49:05 | Speaker 1:

So I had this guy reach out to me this weekend. I did a lot of live streaming this weekend. I'm not entirely sure as to why. Maybe I just needed a friend. But he offered me to Venmo me money if I said his username on the show. And he said that he listens all day. And I said, hold up. Call me Ms. Entrepreneur. Call me Mrs. Wonderful. Put me on Shark Tank. I've got a new business plan. Let's go And I think it's going to be me giving username shoutouts Or birthday shoutouts Graduation shoutouts For a small fee directly to my Venmo account And I don't think this is going to go awry There is one problem though I did already forget his username So I'm definitely not getting paid this time

02:49:05 - 02:49:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah I'm pretty sure you can't do that anyway It's just taking money to advertise something

02:49:13 - 02:49:16 | Speaker 2:

But if it's on her own social media.

02:49:17 - 02:49:25 | Speaker 3:

No, I can't. But I can't take money to advertise Mr. Peanut on my social media and I'm supposed to send it to our sales department.

02:49:25 - 02:49:27 | Speaker 2:

Well, yes. You have to clear it ahead of time.

02:49:27 - 02:49:27 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

02:49:28 - 02:49:33 | Speaker 2:

But, and, because, I mean, obviously, I mean, Shannon, you are advertising.

02:49:33 - 02:49:38 | Speaker 3:

But she has a special exception. But I have to clear those first.

02:49:38 - 02:49:44 | Speaker 2:

Shannon's the favorite and she gets all this, Megan. No, for sure. You don't get that. You can't even shout out Joe from Flint.

02:49:45 - 02:49:50 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but honestly, we didn't know. This wasn't the time where we learned Shannon was the favorite. We'd already been knowing that.

02:49:50 - 02:49:51 | Speaker 2:

We'd learned that before.

02:49:52 - 02:49:53 | Speaker 1:

We'd already been knowing that.

02:49:53 - 02:49:54 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:49:54 - 02:49:58 | Speaker 1:

I'm kidding. She got quiet. I'm kidding. I'm shaking my head. You can't see because you're not here.

02:49:59 - 02:50:11 | Speaker 2:

I actually. I actually like the idea, though, of doing this more so. I'd watch just to hear you do it because I would make up all those names, like how people sometimes, like Dick Hurts and stuff like that. It has tickles.

02:50:12 - 02:50:16 | Speaker 3:

Didn't Mike do something similar with his car? Weren't you shouting out things on your car?

02:50:16 - 02:50:23 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I put- Like stickers? Yeah, I put a bunch of stickers and you could get cheaper insurance, but it was on my personal car. Yeah.

02:50:24 - 02:50:26 | Speaker 5:

But I was going to do it here on the show as long as it wasn't a business.

02:50:27 - 02:50:29 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you're going to do it on the show? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Randomly do it.

02:50:29 - 02:50:34 | Speaker 5:

And it doesn't have to be usernames. It could just be a phrase. It could be anything. Go ahead and pay me, and then maybe I'll do it.

02:50:34 - 02:50:39 | Speaker 2:

So for like 20 bucks, I could get you to say, hey, go follow On Air Mike on Instagram? Yes, yes.

02:50:39 - 02:50:40 | Speaker 5:

There you go.

02:50:40 - 02:52:19 | Speaker 2:

I worked with a guy in Arizona that used to do this. Like, out of the blue, he would come up with, and he was on my show with me, and he would come up with stories of things that he'd had going on, and his stories all involved him like mentioning like places he was like businesses he was so instead of saying the grocery store he would say i was in safeways uh fresh healthy foods aisle and he would like do this thing and he would it was randomly that's like so weird so one day i get a phone call from debbie wagner who was my general manager um and she says hey can we have a conversation for a second yeah no problem she says can i ask you a question but do you ever find it suspicious when so and so does this that they are specific enough including throwing out like random slogans during it and i said no i think it was just funny he just says the slogans because it'd be like you know 1-800 call sam you know whatever the heck it is you know like in the middle yeah hey you know i had somebody uh hit me uh the other day 1-800 call sam right you know and do the thing and then we we said all right well let's do this let's pay attention to his stories over the next month and they did and they paid attention to the stories that he said and then they call him into the office and we're there and i have the list of all the clients that he was doing stuff with and we found out that it wasn't he wasn't doing it for money he was doing it because the person would buy him a dinner or like he was doing it for like stupid reasons like he wasn't even making money out of the deal he was like getting like free sushi at the sushi restaurant

02:52:19 - 02:52:48 | Speaker 5:

or something like that yeah so i took that that test because i know our bosses right now are literally screaming um i took the plugola pale test but i did you pass this wasn't an example used in the test so i'm not sure well yeah it was in the test you can't you can't plug somebody for personal gain or financial but does that mean social media followers does that mean birthday shout outs that's not financial gain that's just shout outs

02:52:48 - 02:52:51 | Speaker 1:

wasn't he going to Venmo you $10

02:52:51 - 02:52:56 | Speaker 5:

yeah but I already forgot his name I got $10 I should have screen grabbed it

02:52:56 - 02:53:17 | Speaker 2:

I love this the only way that you can do this and you'll be allowed to do this is if it's Randall from Toledo it's got to be like the regulars on the show Adam from the 5 at 655 Victor Mr. Victor. Yeah, Mr. Victor. You've got to throw in on-air Mike on Instagram. I think you need to.

02:53:19 - 02:53:20 | Speaker 5:

Just ding him, please.

02:53:20 - 02:53:28 | Speaker 2:

Mike is going to actually, you're going to get an FCC fine for that one. Actually, no. That's your personal social media. You can do that.

02:53:28 - 02:53:32 | Speaker 4:

We're currently taking this test for the third time, by the way, as we're talking.

02:53:32 - 02:53:49 | Speaker 2:

Have any sales department people come to you yet with Allie about to give birth in June to sell you on a baby product or anything like that? I don't know why. No, they should. I can't believe it. I'm always blown away by this. Shannon, have any wedding people come to you with the wedding stuff with you getting married?

02:53:49 - 02:53:53 | Speaker 4:

None from our sales department, but Instagram has been very kind with all of the wedding

02:53:53 - 02:53:59 | Speaker 2:

businesses in the area, but I'm not planning a wedding yet. Wait, so the wedding businesses in the area, what do you mean Instagram?

02:53:59 - 02:54:05 | Speaker 4:

They'll reach out to me on Instagram and say, can we do this for you? Can we be your photographer? Can we be your vet? Can we do your flowers?

02:54:05 - 02:54:08 | Speaker 2:

No, but I'm talking like our sales department needs to monetize this.

02:54:08 - 02:54:10 | Speaker 4:

No, that's what I'm saying. Yeah, they said.

02:54:10 - 02:54:19 | Speaker 2:

We need to monetize. We've got two very, you know, big moments here. And, you know, anybody want to monetize so you can make more money?

02:54:19 - 02:54:22 | Speaker 5:

You told me if I can marry and I don't care, I can make money.

02:54:23 - 02:54:31 | Speaker 2:

No. Yes. Actually. Hello, Miss Celsius. I've seen you. I see you on campus all the time.

02:54:32 - 02:54:33 | Speaker 4:

Celsius is so good, though.

02:54:33 - 02:54:39 | Speaker 2:

I know you like Celsius, but I know you don't like Celsius that much to be standing out there and whatever the triad and the cold.

02:54:40 - 02:54:48 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to find my new life spouse, get married, make more money, get pregnant, make more money. I didn't know that this was a financial transaction, you guys.

02:54:48 - 02:54:57 | Speaker 2:

This is. This can be a financial transaction. I'll tell you what. I will pay you $5 to say Mojo is the best person I have ever worked with.

02:54:57 - 02:54:59 | Speaker 5:

I just checked. I just checked. I'm at home.

02:55:00 - 02:55:03 | Speaker 2:

wow shockingly already in a new tax bracket so i'm good

02:55:03 - 02:55:31 | Speaker 4:

come on all right okay so what are the what are the top ads what were the best of the best when it came to the the super bowl last night uh they're coming out with them they say that uh that some of the best ones included the gm x netflix one i like that one that's the one with will ferrell being in

02:55:31 - 02:55:36 | Speaker 3:

all the other movies yeah like he was starring in all the netflix shows yeah here here's uh here's

02:55:36 - 02:55:55 | Speaker 2:

that general motors is going electric and netflix is joining in by including more evs in their movies and shows the least they can do so if you're gonna get swarmed by an army of the dead Why not get swarmed in an EV? No. I said no fighting. Or if you're being voluntarily kidnapped, why not be kidnapped in an EV?

02:55:55 - 02:56:12 | Speaker 4:

That was actually pretty good. Workday's commercial was also a commercial that got a lot of love when it comes to the add-o-meters. They do those add-o-meters for it. It was one where they had Billy Idol, Ozzy Osbourne, Joan Jett. Actually, that creeped me out.

02:56:12 - 02:56:14 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I wasn't even sure what that was an ad for.

02:56:14 - 02:56:15 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I don't know.

02:56:15 - 02:56:16 | Speaker 3:

A bunch of aging rock stars.

02:56:16 - 02:56:27 | Speaker 4:

I was actually at one point going, what's that all about? The other commercials that were big, Doritos always ends up winning during the Super Bowl. They had a commercial with Jack Harlow.

02:56:27 - 02:56:28 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I thought that one was terrible.

02:56:28 - 02:56:29 | Speaker 4:

The Ad-O-Meter said that.

02:56:29 - 02:56:30 | Speaker 1:

And I like Jack Harlow.

02:56:30 - 02:56:42 | Speaker 4:

They said that connected. Skechers did well. I can't believe that one did well. The Skechers slip-ons, the one with Snoop. Wasn't that at the end of the game or towards the end of the game?

02:56:42 - 02:56:42 | Speaker 3:

They had two of them.

02:56:42 - 02:56:47 | Speaker 4:

Megan, your T-Mobile spot with Bradley Cooper and his mom.

02:56:47 - 02:56:55 | Speaker 1:

To tell you all the incredible things about T-Mobile, we tried to make a commercial with Bradley Cooper and his mother. Hi, how can I help you?

02:56:55 - 02:57:01 | Speaker 5:

I don't like the way you look. Does G-Mobile really have a 5G?

02:57:01 - 02:57:04 | Speaker 1:

America's largest 5G network. Try it again.

02:57:04 - 02:57:07 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. You look like a flamingo in this. Okay.

02:57:08 - 02:57:12 | Speaker 1:

America's largest 5G network. How can I help you? Hey, how are you?

02:57:12 - 02:57:13 | Speaker 5:

I loved this one.

02:57:13 - 02:57:14 | Speaker 4:

And that really was his mom.

02:57:14 - 02:57:18 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I thought that one was okay. Price lock guarantee me.

02:57:18 - 02:57:20 | Speaker 1:

Mom, talk to me. Don't worry about this.

02:57:20 - 02:57:22 | Speaker 5:

Well, I have one eye there and one eye over there.

02:57:22 - 02:57:24 | Speaker 1:

T-Mobile has price lock.

02:57:24 - 02:57:25 | Speaker 5:

Okay, whoa.

02:57:26 - 02:57:27 | Unknown:

Give me the paper.

02:57:29 - 02:57:35 | Speaker 5:

Smile. You look like a clam. I think I know what I'm doing. I've been nominated nine times. Yeah, but you never won any.

02:57:37 - 02:57:53 | Speaker 4:

That's such a good one. The commercial that I honestly thought, uh-oh, we fell for this, was the Brad, or the Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. Do you think we fell for a scam at the Oscars?

02:57:53 - 02:57:54 | Speaker 3:

No, I think they were unrelated.

02:57:55 - 02:57:55 | Speaker 4:

You don't think so?

02:57:56 - 02:57:57 | Speaker 5:

They fell that months ago.

02:57:58 - 02:58:02 | Speaker 4:

I know, but don't you think that they purposely did what they did at the Oscars to get some attention? No.

02:58:03 - 02:58:03 | Speaker 3:

No.

02:58:03 - 02:58:04 | Speaker 2:

Really?

02:58:04 - 02:58:05 | Speaker 3:

She's genuinely displeased with him.

02:58:05 - 02:58:15 | Speaker 2:

He always has that look on his face. Really? Dunkin' a new special, Dunkin' Run, medium or large coffee, get a donut for an incremental dollar. How can it be this inexpensive and good?

02:58:16 - 02:58:26 | Speaker 1:

I'm just going to have to give you ten munchkins. You look a little lost. One second, I'm trying to find the bagels. Do I look for my... Oh. Should I be in it or do you want to just use a self-portrait?

02:58:28 - 02:58:29 | Speaker 5:

What are you doing here?

02:58:30 - 02:58:31 | Speaker 1:

Curse me if I'm on my phone.

02:58:31 - 02:58:33 | Speaker 5:

Is this what you do when you say you're going to work all day?

02:58:33 - 02:58:34 | Speaker 4:

I gotta go, guys.

02:58:36 - 02:58:37 | Speaker 5:

Grab me a glaze.

02:58:37 - 02:58:38 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh.

02:58:38 - 02:58:39 | Speaker 5:

It was cute.

02:58:39 - 02:58:48 | Speaker 3:

I liked it. I could almost picture Ben Affleck working at Dunkin' Donuts. That's not surprising. The only thing that was shocking to me is, you know, J-Lo doesn't drive.

02:58:50 - 02:58:53 | Speaker 2:

I liked the Pepsi one with Ben Stiller.

02:58:54 - 02:58:56 | Speaker 4:

That was actually interesting. A lot of people loved it because Zoolander was brought back.

02:58:56 - 02:58:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I thought that was so funny.

02:58:58 - 02:59:14 | Speaker 4:

The commercial that they're saying that grabbed everybody, there were so many EV commercials, and one of the other ones that they liked, too, and we actually have a guest on from that right now, Joining us was Jeep's commercial This is big for anybody that works for Jeep You're going to love this But the electric slide one

02:59:14 - 02:59:26 | Speaker 1:

So they redid

02:59:26 - 02:59:42 | Speaker 4:

The electric slide In a song that I hear Is going to be released soon on the air It was for the electric Jeep And do you recognize that voice You know who that voice is That's on that Yeah

02:59:42 - 02:59:45 | Speaker 5:

The one and only

02:59:45 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 4:

Shaggy Is on with that one And here on the Mojo in the Morning Show Zooming in to the show this morning Hello Mr. Lava Can I do it? I've been practicing

03:00:00 - 03:00:02 | Speaker 2:

Do you age at all?

03:00:02 - 03:00:02 | Speaker 3:

Like, what do you do?

03:00:02 - 03:00:04 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, wait, seriously, this is not fair.

03:00:06 - 03:00:11 | Speaker 3:

We all age. We all age, but I live in Jamaica, man, so, you know, I'm in Kingston right now.

03:00:12 - 03:00:15 | Speaker 2:

You and Tom Pullman must go to the same people. This is unbelievable.

03:00:15 - 03:00:18 | Speaker 4:

Little Botox here, here, here. For you.

03:00:18 - 03:00:19 | Speaker 2:

Man, oh, man.

03:00:19 - 03:00:26 | Speaker 1:

He's not weathered. You know, we say weathered, but we actually literally mean weather because we have to suffer through winters. Yeah.

03:00:26 - 03:00:31 | Speaker 3:

Why is it so funny you say Tom Fulmer Because he's actually here in Jamaica right now

03:00:31 - 03:00:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh my god Shaggy, this is the coolest that you're on with us Because all of the people that work for Jeep Live here And they're excited They were excited about the Super Bowl commercial Excited to get electrified And I'm excited That the electric slide is back

03:00:51 - 03:02:32 | Speaker 3:

Yes Yes You know what It's a 40th anniversary of that song, by the way. And the electric slide has become so much a part of culture, of popular culture, that you're looking at bar mitzvahs and weddings. It's just a part of parties. It's just a part of the whole vibe. And to bring it back, you know, I brought Marcia Griffiths, who did the original song. Yeah. And she was an original member of the I-Trees, which is the three ladies that sing with Bob Marley on stage and is on every Bob Marley record. And it was written by Bunny Whaler, who's one of the original Whalers, which was Bob Peter and Bunny initially. And Bunny Whaler wrote the song. So this is a very iconic song, right? And so when they asked, when Jeep asked me to recreate the song, because obviously it's a Super Bowl commercial for their electric Jeep. And of course, you know, it's a Caribbean Super Bowl. You have Rihanna, you know, doing the halftime. Shirley Raff actually is also on there. You know, we had to get it right culturally. And so I brought Marcia Griffiths back in. She was super happy to come on board with me and kind of guide us to how we did the track over. We brought three emerging artists, which is Maya and, you know, and, of course, Amber Lee and Jamila Falak, three young artists out of Jamaica who are very emerging and doing very well here. And it's almost like her passing the baton onto them. and they all was into the electric slide and they kind of twisted it a little bit and made it more new for TikTok and Marcy was super, super into it. So it's been a great, great experience doing this, man.

03:02:33 - 03:02:40 | Speaker 2:

Man, did you get a Jeep for that? Did they give you one of those electric Jeeps for doing it? Or did they give you big old cash to make in money?

03:02:41 - 03:02:51 | Speaker 3:

Let me tell you something. That's the first thing everybody asks me. Yo, did you get a Jeep? Well, I didn't get a Jeep, but it's early days yet, though. Yeah, there's still time.

03:02:51 - 03:03:10 | Speaker 2:

So when you're watching the Super Bowl and you're watching your commercial come up, like, what kind of a thrill is that for you? Because everybody wants to be on the Super Bowl or in the Super Bowl or at a Super Bowl. You're actually literally in the Super Bowl doing a commercial.

03:03:12 - 03:03:51 | Speaker 3:

You know, this is my second time. The first time I did it was with Cheetos. Cheetos, yeah. With Mia, yes, exactly, with Mia, Mina Kunis, and Ashton Kutcher. And that was incredibly great. This time, it's, you know, it's animals really, you know, dancing the electric slide with my voice in it. And I'm producing the music and the backdrop of it and creating that whole vibe around it, which was a total new experience for me. And I just want to say, big ups to Jeeps and the Jeep team for really allowing us to actually go in there and do our thing and really get it culturally right.

03:03:51 - 03:03:56 | Speaker 2:

So what a thrill. We're getting text messages from them just how excited they are that you did the commercial.

03:03:56 - 03:04:25 | Speaker 3:

Oh, listen, not only that, you know, when you think about Jeep, Jeep is a, everyone, it's a part of the American fabric. And almost everybody that you talked to, I spoke about three people yesterday just during interviews that all at some point said that they owned a Jeep. I was talking to Ryan Seacrest and he was like, oh, you know, I remember one of my first vehicles was a jeep and I was like wow everybody at some point in their life has had a jeep or have a jeep story it's such a part of the American

03:04:25 - 03:04:32 | Speaker 4:

fabric you do know the jeep wave you gotta do the jeep wave now that you're affiliated with jeep and mojo can teach you because he used to have a jeep that's right

03:04:32 - 03:04:40 | Speaker 2:

mojo what's the jeep wave it's the goofy thing yeah like when you see another jeep and you're in a jeep

03:04:40 - 03:04:41 | Speaker 4:

you just gotta wave but in jamaica

03:04:41 - 03:04:45 | Speaker 1:

they do that to you I thought it was two fingers off the steering wheel, isn't it? Well, you do that, yeah.

03:04:48 - 03:04:49 | Speaker 4:

Gotta know this stuff.

03:04:49 - 03:05:00 | Speaker 2:

I actually do have a Jeep. I have a Wrangler, and I love it, and I will say this to you about owning a Jeep. It's the greatest car ever because you can

03:05:00 - 03:05:08 | Speaker 5:

You can fit in any parking spot with one of those things. It's got the greatest turning radius you'll ever have. Or make your own parking spot right on the grass.

03:05:10 - 03:05:13 | Speaker 7:

Well, you know what now, Mojo? The greatest thing is now it's electric.

03:05:13 - 03:05:25 | Speaker 5:

That's right. My favorite is when Shaggy talks and he does a... You'll talk and you deepen the voice a little bit when you do it.

03:05:25 - 03:05:30 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, you go in there. Yeah, Mojo, you know what's else? circle one time. Oh, this is the love on your dad.

03:05:31 - 03:05:31 | Unknown:

Shaggy!

03:05:32 - 03:05:34 | Speaker 7:

Oh, oh, yeah, yeah.

03:05:34 - 03:05:35 | Speaker 4:

Hold on, I'm going to talk like Shaggy.

03:05:36 - 03:05:37 | Speaker 7:

Come on, Shannon, let me

03:05:37 - 03:05:38 | Speaker 4:

hear your imitation of Shaggy.

03:05:38 - 03:05:46 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, let him know one time, yeah. Yeah, let him know one time, one time. Yeah, yeah, yeah, let him know one time. Shaggy!

03:05:48 - 03:05:52 | Speaker 5:

Shaggy, this has honestly been the highlight of our morning. Thank you, buddy.

03:05:53 - 03:05:56 | Speaker 7:

All right, all the best, man. Thanks for having me always.

03:05:57 - 03:06:01 | Speaker 5:

Take it. Congratulations, and all the Jeep people are loving you, so they're saying thank you.

03:06:01 - 03:06:01 | Speaker 7:

All right.

03:06:02 - 03:06:02 | Speaker 5:

Take care.

03:06:02 - 03:06:06 | Speaker 7:

Hey, make sure. And brush up on your electric slide.

03:06:08 - 03:06:11 | Speaker 6:

Watch your own the morning's top trending stories.

03:06:12 - 03:07:18 | Speaker 5:

Bradley Cooper would have been cool to be on with us today, but unfortunately he and his mom were both busy. All right, let's do this. Let's start off. We talked a lot Super Bowl today, but we didn't really talk much about the game. We talked more about Rihanna and what was going on. Let's talk about the game because there's some controversy to this thing. The Kansas City Chiefs, led by the sometimes wobbly Patrick Mahomes, pulled off a dramatic fourth-quarter comeback victory over the slightly favored Philadelphia Eagles, led by Jalen Hurts. His final score was 38-35 in Glendale, Arizona. Mahomes hurt his ankle again or re-hurt his ankle again, And then at the end of the first half, a lot of people wondered if he was going to actually stay in the game. Some people thought that former Michigan quarterback Chad Henney was going to have to come in the game. Did you see, by the way, Chad Henney retired at the end of that game? Oh, did he? Oh, really? Finally. It was about time. I can't believe he lasted this long. He's 48 years old. It's crazy. But Mahomes actually had that one run was unbelievable. I mean, he could tell he was in pain when he was doing that.

03:07:18 - 03:07:27 | Speaker 1:

Although I said to everybody at my party, I think even if it only hurts a little bit, but you've got to way overact because then if you have a horrible second half, you could blame it on the injury. Bingo.

03:07:27 - 03:07:52 | Speaker 5:

Right. What do you think I do when I come in after a hangover on St. Patrick's Day? There was a controversial penalty at the end of the game, which actually cost the Eagles the Super Bowl that some are saying that actually was the worst call in NFL history. Here was the call by Fox Sports and Greg Olson, who was the color commentator.

03:07:52 - 03:08:07 | Speaker 3:

Back to this penalty. I hear what you're saying, Mike. He's trying to run a little whip route. Sell the shallow cross. I know he's got that right hand. I get it. I just think in this moment, oh man, that is a game-altering penalty.

03:08:09 - 03:08:36 | Speaker 5:

People were upset by this. It was trending on Twitter, including LeBron James, who was at the game, tweeting, his hands on his back had no effect on his route. This game was too damn good to have a call dictate the outcome of the end. Damn. By the way, I have no horse in the race, just my professional opinion. And then Pat McAfee, who works for ESPN and has his own podcast, Pat McAfee was really upset by this.

03:08:36 - 03:09:13 | Speaker 2:

The rest making that holding call at that time, at that stage of that game? Super Bowl? Huh? Huh? That wins the game. Game over. Kneel it out, kick a field goal. We've got six seconds left in the whole f***ing clock. It's over. There's a chance that, yeah, Bucker makes his field goal. Then the Eagles are able to move. They score 35 points, doing everything. They go down, they kick a field goal. Obviously, we've got a tech game. We go to overtime. You know what Patrick Mahomes does? He throws for more than 225 yards in the entire game. We win. Now, the Chiefs might win as well, but nonetheless, that's me being very personal and selfish. What I need to say is this. Hey, refs, can't f***ing call that there, okay?

03:09:13 - 03:09:20 | Speaker 5:

The call comes four days after NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said that the officiating has been the best that it has ever seen.

03:09:21 - 03:09:22 | Speaker 1:

Oh, did he watch the playoffs?

03:09:22 - 03:09:29 | Speaker 6:

Right. Do you think they'll ever come up with a way to challenge penalties where you can go back

03:09:29 - 03:09:45 | Speaker 5:

and watch them? It will slow the game down too much, I think. I don't know, but you know, in this day and age of technology, why can't the commissioner go, alright, I'm up in the box right now, or have somebody from up top go, don't have the teams challenge it. Have somebody up in the box go, alright guys, clearly that was a bad call.

03:09:45 - 03:09:49 | Speaker 1:

The voice of God from up in the booth saying, Hey, guys, there's three refs up here we clearly see in the replay.

03:09:49 - 03:09:54 | Speaker 5:

The problem, though, is he does grab the guy, and you're not supposed to even touch him. Well, he admitted to it, too.

03:09:54 - 03:09:59 | Speaker 1:

He said, yeah, I was holding. But the fact that that call was made, and listen, I'm making no excuses.

03:10:00 - 03:10:33 | Speaker 4:

The Eagles took the foot off the gas in the second half. But the fact that that call was made so close to the end of the game when the ball was not in play near him, and like LeBron said, it didn't change any trajectory. It really changed the game. And you look at the Philadelphia sports fans now. The Phillies went all the way to the World Series and lost. Oh, my God. And then the Union went all the way to the Major League Soccer Finals and lost. And now the Eagles went all the way to the Super Bowl and lost. Sixers fans right now are so sweating because they're going to be in the playoffs. I don't think they have a chance, though.

03:10:33 - 03:10:34 | Speaker 5:

I don't know if they have a chance.

03:10:34 - 03:10:36 | Speaker 4:

Well, they're third right now, and they've been playing really well.

03:10:36 - 03:10:42 | Speaker 5:

But I don't think they'll make it to the finals. I don't know if they're that good. No? No, but, boy, would that not be the most dramatically sad thing?

03:10:43 - 03:10:46 | Speaker 4:

They don't have enough grease for all these poles and street poles. Yeah, exactly.

03:10:47 - 03:10:54 | Speaker 5:

Help the fan out. Philly fan needing some help this morning. Patrick Mahomes did do the Disney commercial.

03:10:54 - 03:11:01 | Speaker 6:

Everett Mahone, Q, and the Kansas City Chiefs just won the Super Bowl. What are you going to do next? I'm going to Disneyland!

03:11:03 - 03:11:09 | Speaker 5:

Celebrating Disneyland's 100th anniversary. Is that right, Megan? 100 years Disneyland's been around, or am I wrong on that?

03:11:10 - 03:11:14 | Speaker 2:

It seems a little sketchy. I don't think it's actually 100 years.

03:11:14 - 03:11:23 | Speaker 4:

I think it's 100 years of Disney. Yeah. 100 years of Disney? It was the first Mickey Steamboat movie or whatever. And then they're celebrating 50 years of Disney World.

03:11:23 - 03:11:30 | Speaker 5:

Well, that just ended, right? Yeah, that happened in 2022. Here's Patrick Mahomes, though, saying he's willing to go into any Disney.

03:11:30 - 03:11:37 | Speaker 1:

Luckily, I'm going to Disneyland now, so I have Disney World and Disneyland crossed off. And I'll have to make some more parks so I can go around everywhere and do a world tour.

03:11:38 - 03:11:38 | Speaker 5:

Oh, boy.

03:11:39 - 03:11:42 | Speaker 4:

Stafford went to Disneyland last year. I figured it was because it was in his backyard.

03:11:42 - 03:12:16 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that's true. I saw him posting some stuff on social media a year ago at that time. He was at the Super Bowl, and now he's playing with the kids and hanging out with the family. The U.S. shoots down another unidentified object. It's the fourth in eight days. And this has gotten a lot of people to start talking around here because it was over Michigan, Ohio, and Canada. Over Lake Huron where this happened, there was an unidentified object that they ended up having to send fighter jets out to go and take down.

03:12:16 - 03:12:33 | Speaker 2:

These most recent objects do not pose a kinetic military threat, but they're patched in proximity to sensitive DOD sites. And the altitude that they were flying could be a hazard to civilian aviation and thus raise concerns.

03:12:33 - 03:12:45 | Speaker 5:

So we talked to Representative Alyssa Slotkin from Michigan this morning, who, by the way, she's got her finger on the pulse of this and says there's going to be a lot of investigation as to why there's so many of these.

03:12:45 - 03:13:32 | Speaker 3:

So it's a bit more. So, you know, last week, frankly, we were still finishing up all the classified briefings on the balloon that we were all watching a week or 10 days ago. And I think, you know, so they do come back around and bring us all together once they've picked up the wreckage, exploited it, put the intelligence community on it, and then can come back and say, OK, here's a bit more about what we saw with these other objects. these three other things, they just don't know a ton right now because it's different than a balloon. It does not look like a balloon. It doesn't seem to be the same thing at all. So they're hesitant not because they know a ton about it, but because they don't know a ton about it. They hit it over Lake Huron purposely so that they could collect that wreckage, exploit it, and so it takes a few days to really understand.

03:13:32 - 03:14:08 | Speaker 5:

And I heard that they're having trouble with gathering some of the wreckage. that yesterday there were some issues with Lake Huron at the time, I guess the choppiness of it or whatever, so they couldn't actually gather, and they're going to go back today and do it. But fill us in a little bit on this, because I've got to tell you something. I was never a conspiracy terrorist. Now I'm a conspiracy theorist. I don't buy anything anymore. Anytime that there's something like this coming out, I'm like, what are they not wanting us to know about? Or what is it that, you know, it's like, look, you know, there's something crazy going on here.

03:14:08 - 03:14:15 | Speaker 4:

Well, and the Congresswoman knows this firsthand because weren't you a grad student in New York City when the September 11th attacks took place?

03:14:16 - 03:14:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I was. And then, you know, basically that day changed my life. I got into national security and I was recruited right out of grad school to the CIA. So this is this is more my lane. It's really amazing how my Michigan life and my national security life has kind of come together in these objects. I will say, you know, I think we need we certainly need to understand what is going on, because what's different is stuff flying over the homeland. Yeah, we don't like that. No country likes that. And certainly Americans don't like that. I think it's giving people a different feeling, a different perspective about certainly about our relationship with the Chinese government. But what we don't know right now is exactly kind of who sent those things for what purpose.

03:15:00 - 03:15:09 | Speaker 1:

That's the intent part of national security is really important. Why did they send these things? But I would hold back going full conspiracy theory right now.

03:15:10 - 03:15:18 | Speaker 3:

Here's an interesting thing. The general spoke out yesterday saying that it may be a UFO. Like it may not even be from China possibly, right?

03:15:18 - 03:15:45 | Speaker 1:

Thanks, Pat, and thanks for doing this. This is for General Van Herc. Because you still haven't been able to tell us what these things are that we are shooting out of the sky, uh that raises the question um have you ruled out aliens or extraterrestrials and if so why because that is what everyone is asking us right now thanks for the question helene i'll let the

03:15:45 - 03:16:03 | Speaker 4:

intel community and the counterintelligence community figured that out i haven't ruled out anything uh at this point we continue to assess uh every threat or potential threat unknown that approaches north america uh with an attempt to identify it that's wild big question just still

03:16:03 - 03:16:17 | Speaker 7:

remains whether the military's spotting objects that have always been there or and they never noticed or if these are new aerial objects that were not present before it's just weird how even when they found the first balloon they're like oh yeah we just discovered there was a whole bunch of

03:16:17 - 03:16:22 | Speaker 6:

for the last few years yeah and now there's been so many in the past couple of days do you think

03:16:22 - 03:16:28 | Speaker 3:

that these aliens just wanted to go to Zender's and get chicken in Frankenmuth?

03:16:28 - 03:16:29 | Speaker 6:

It was Zingerman's.

03:16:29 - 03:17:06 | Speaker 3:

Or Zingerman's, you're saying? A Zingerman's sandwich or something like that? I don't know. I'm telling you. I have so many family members of mine that for some reason want to go to Frankenmuth just so they can eat chicken and mashed potatoes. And last story. Here's one. This is a local story, too. A Michigan school teacher has been charged after he planted a bomb threat note just to get a day off from school oh my gosh excuse me the teacher was a teacher at hazel park middle school and here's peter maxwell from channel

03:17:06 - 03:17:26 | Speaker 2:

seven uh in detroit speaking on this 40 year old paul jacobs of lavonia is facing a serious charge after police say he wrote a note and placed it in his classroom for students to find i think kids are, um, kids are scared. Superintendent of Hazel Park Schools, Dr. Amy Krupp, says the threat was

03:17:26 - 03:17:30 | Speaker 5:

hard on students. Threats that continue to happen in schools are traumatizing for kids,

03:17:31 - 03:18:11 | Speaker 2:

and I don't think you're ever numb to it. Ten bomb-sniffing canines and dozens of police officers converged on Hazel Park at junior high and swept the building last Thursday night at around 6 30 p.m. Once the search was complete, they gave the all clear once nothing was found. Police say they believe Jacobs placed the note in his classroom, which was found by another school employee. Police added that Jacobs didn't intend on telling anyone, and the note, according to police, said the school would be blown up the next day. Hazel Park's police chief told 7 Action News that the note was intentionally planted with a goal to have classes canceled. Police have charged the 40-year-old teacher with making an intentional threat of an act.

03:18:11 - 03:18:14 | Speaker 3:

Don't you want to know exactly what he wanted to go to to have that day off?

03:18:14 - 03:18:18 | Speaker 2:

A misdemeanor charge, and Jacobs could face one year in jail if convicted. What did he have?

03:18:19 - 03:18:27 | Speaker 5:

Police have taken every case seriously within the schools, and that's been wonderful because we're communicating to the community that this is not a joke.

03:18:27 - 03:18:32 | Speaker 7:

I mean, a year in jail and permanently losing your career of teaching.

03:18:32 - 03:18:33 | Speaker 6:

What a dummy.

03:18:33 - 03:18:39 | Speaker 7:

Did he have really good Super Bowl seats? Like, what was it that he needed the four-day weekend?

03:18:39 - 03:18:40 | Speaker 3:

That's craziness right there.

03:18:40 - 03:18:47 | Speaker 1:

Talking about guns with others might not always feel comfortable, but it could save a life. Here's a way to start a conversation. Your family is going over to your neighbor's home for dinner for the first time. How would you ask if there are any unlocked guns in the home?

03:21:45 - 03:21:45 | Speaker 8:

Hey.

03:21:46 - 03:21:51 | Speaker 4:

Hey, we're so excited for tonight. Before we come over, though, may I ask if there are any unlocked guns in your home?

03:21:52 - 03:21:56 | Speaker 8:

Our guns are stored securely, locked in a safe that the kids can't access.

03:21:57 - 03:22:02 | Speaker 4:

Awesome. Learn how to have the conversation at AgreeToAgree.org. Brought to you by the Ad Council.

We've all seen the headlines. Florida man wrestles alligator in a tuxedo or Florida man sues after finding toenails in his ice cream.

03:22:12 - 03:22:16 | Speaker 2:

It's easy to laugh at the meme, but have you ever wondered about the human behind the headline?

03:22:16 - 03:22:17 | Speaker 1:

Hey, I'm Frankie P.

03:22:17 - 03:22:22 | Speaker 2:

Stop it.

03:22:30 - 03:22:31 | Speaker 3:

Come down.
