It's showtime.

00:02:55 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning Show. Welcome, welcome, welcome. Got a good show for you today. Five lives tell your mom. Phone scams, senseless surveys. Back to all our prizes and stuff that we have. Taylor Swift tickets. Concert tickets to Kid Leroy. We'll also kind of scatter in there some Ed Sheeran, Beyonce, Lil Wayne. So keep listening to win. Plus, we have to give away all of our Botox fillers that we have for our Valentine's contest and award our social media winner, too. So the one that wins for Instagram. We will have that for you all coming up today. So we've got a lot of stuff to get to. Yesterday was a very heavy show. Today, obviously, we will not forget. We're not all of a sudden doing one and then doing the other. But we are going to, you know, get back to a little bit of the normal fun that we have on the show. So just understand that we hope that we can be an escape for you. And we will have the latest on what happened at Michigan State University. And then somebody actually texted and said, don't forget about the chemical spill in East Palestine, Ohio. We will not forget about that. We actually have been talking about it, and we should talk about that more, too, because that does affect our friends in Ohio and anybody that has family members that are right there. I mean, it's right there.

00:05:00 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 1:

Just before you get to Pittsburgh, but on our way, I know anytime I'd visit my family in Pittsburgh, we'd visit them. We would actually be driving very close to there.

00:05:11 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 2:

Don't forget, it's in the Ohio River, which connects to the Mississippi. This is going to be a big, big problem.

00:05:19 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 3:

For a whole generation and beyond, but it's just weird how people aren't talking about it.

00:05:24 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 1:

I saw yesterday a little bit more on it. I actually did see a bunch of news outlets covering it. So I think that people are being called to task. The media is being called to task for ignoring it for so long. Yesterday was a very, like, tough day after the show. I just felt, I mean, it's funny, as the show was going on, and I thought our listeners were amazing, I thought everybody on the show did a great job of trying to cover things. I thought that, you know, our community always comes together in a time of need. Everybody did. And then after the show, I just felt like, holy crap, I felt like I got beaten over the head with a sledgehammer and just felt exhausted. And so I did a little time on the couch looking at people's social media. And I have a bone to pick with one member of this radio program who is the reason why I probably will end up dying today. And that is Mike. What's that? I looked at your Instagram post from, I think, over the weekend of Jersey Mike's. You had Jersey Mike's, I believe, for the first time. Is that right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Am I right to say that you decided that you wanted a taste of Philly because of the Eagles were in the Super Bowl, so you turned towards Jersey Mike's for a Philly cheesesteak?

00:06:46 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 2:

To be fair, they're amazing. They are. They're so good.

00:06:49 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 1:

They were amazing. Until yesterday, I decided that I was going to DoorDash some Jersey Mike's. And instead of saying to myself, okay, self, you can just eat the smaller version of the sandwich that they have. Because they have, for the gluten-free people, they have the full-on super-sized sub. Or they have the littler one, which is just a little piece of the gluten-free bread on the sub. I decided to go for it because I felt like I deserved it yesterday. I was in my feelings, and I ate the entire thing, and I feel like crap right now, Michael. Whoa. How did you, like, I ate just half of the regular one, and I felt, like, just heavy. Well, thank you. Thanks for judging me. I'm not judging you. No, I know. No, no. I'm saying, fat boy. I ate the whole thing. I ate the whole thing. Dang. Can you believe that? That's crazy. Typical fat guy. Yeah. It was. Oh, my God. I'm not going to lie to you guys. It was delicious for about the first couple of bites. And there was even I unrolled the packaging and it had the cheese that was stuck to the packaging with little pieces of the meat still stuck on there. I'm like, oh, my God, I even grabbed a fork and went and scraped it off and ate that. And then I realized, oh, my God, what did I do to myself? But you know what it was? It was stress eating. And I don't know if any of you are stress eaters. And if you are, I want you to call us up and tell us what's your best stress-eating food. What do you choose to stress eat? Because I'd love to know if anybody has anything better to eat because the next time that I do some stress eating, which will probably be in about five or six hours, I want to do something that might be a little healthier.

00:08:34 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 3:

I'll tell you how I ate my feelings yesterday because I got off a call of over two hours of trying to calm down my extremely anxious and stressed-out daughter at college. And she did not want to go to class, and it was just a really stressful phone call after all that transpired over the last 48 hours. And I hung up that phone, and it just happened to be ill-timed with Valentine's Day, where I noticed that my girlfriend Meg brought home ice cream and bumpy cupcakes for her son. And I smashed at least one of those cupcakes and then dug into the ice cream, and it wasn't even dinner time yet.

00:09:11 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 1:

Wait, they weren't yours. They weren't for you. They were for Meg's son.

00:09:14 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 3:

I feel like she brought them, I didn't ask. I think they were brought back for the house, but later she was telling him, I brought you ice cream, and I was like, oops.

00:09:22 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 2:

I did the same thing with Valentine's Day, screwed me yesterday with stress eating. I bought the kids these big hearts that were filled with Kit Kats, because both of them love Kit Kats. Well, who was eating all the dang Kit Kats? Yeah, they're not going to miss a few. Not Lucy and Smith. Well, it wasn't a few. Smith actually opened his after dinner last night, and he goes, what happened to all my Kit Kats? I don't even know

00:09:45 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

I don't know Usually for me stress eating has to be more than just candy though I like it Whatever's in front of me is what it is I need some big old bread or something like that I need something you know That

00:10:00 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 6:

It went for sushi and a long nap, like the longest nap I've taken in probably a month, like a three-hour, four-hour nap. It was hard. Yesterday was hard.

00:10:11 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. And that's what we're blaming it on. You notice that? We're all blaming it on how hard it was yesterday that we all ate our feelings. But you know what?

00:10:21 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 1:

It's legit, though. Is it? It was a stressful day for everybody. So we have to deal with it how we deal with it. And for me, it's cupcakes.

00:10:29 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 2:

The worst is that I have not gone to the bathroom at all since then. So you're expecting this morning. Exactly. Normally I am pretty regular about going, yeah, that's what it's going to be like.

00:10:44 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 1:

That two-hour commercial free break we do is going to really hit different today.

00:10:47 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 2:

Well, the problem is if it happens during that time, it's going to be, you know. Mike, you got any more mixing material there like you did the Rihanna mix the other day? Stand by. All right, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. If you have some good stress food, I want to hear what you got. Rachel, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. Are you a stress eater?

00:11:15 - 00:11:15 | Speaker 5:

Yes.

00:11:16 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 2:

Yeah? What's your choice for stress eating?

00:11:19 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 5:

I don't discriminate when I stress eat.

00:11:22 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

00:11:24 - 00:11:32 | Speaker 5:

I just eat anything because when I get stressed out, I just want to, you know, eat anything and everything I see.

00:11:32 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 2:

I understand, but there's got to be something that makes it all better, like something that actually makes you feel good when you're stress eating. So is there something specific that you remember in the past that you might have put between your lips?

00:11:46 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 5:

No.

00:11:47 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 2:

No? Okay. So you just like it all.

00:11:50 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I love food.

00:11:51 - 00:12:05 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I know. That's selective. Why is it that, though, that if the only food that we have in our refrigerator are, like, celery sticks and, you know, vegetables and stuff like that, that doesn't help us with stress eating.

00:12:07 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 5:

I wish I knew.

00:12:08 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:12:09 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 5:

It's always, like, snacks or chips or.

00:12:12 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 2:

Yep. Chelsea has, like, chips and stuff like that and fun foods for, like, when our friends' kids come over to the house. And that's the other one, too, the fun-sized stuff. And then I've got to make sure that I get rid of them and then repackage the cabinet that we have them in so that it doesn't look like I ate them all. So I've actually had to, like, put napkins underneath to prop up so it makes it look like there's more in there and then have to go to the store afterwards. What's going on, Jessica? How are you doing?

00:12:42 - 00:12:43 | Speaker 4:

I'm good. How are you?

00:12:43 - 00:12:46 | Speaker 2:

Good. What's the food, your stress food?

00:12:47 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 4:

So I'm big into, like, dips. Specifically, I like pretzels and Nutella when I'm stressed out. Yeah. It's so good. Because you get, like, the carbs, but you also get, like, the smoothness, you know, of, like, a dip. So that's my killer.

00:13:05 - 00:13:26 | Speaker 2:

Have you ever, Jessica, had FOD? No. FOD, French onion dip. Get French onion dip and dip potato chips. We call it FOD because the problem is fat people, like myself, like to make up names for the foods that we have, so other people don't understand what it is. They're like, oh, FOD, oh.

00:13:26 - 00:13:26 | Speaker 5:

Sounds fancy.

00:13:26 - 00:13:34 | Speaker 2:

And then they don't ask you what it is. But if I said it's French onion dip, then they go, oh, you ate a whole thing of French onion dip? You know?

00:13:34 - 00:13:36 | Speaker 4:

You sound fancy, and then you're like, oh, okay.

00:13:37 - 00:13:41 | Speaker 2:

Exactly. It's delicious. We did that during all of COVID. That was really bad. What's up, Taylor?

00:13:43 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 3:

For me, I will die for the buffalo chicken sliders and the jalapeno poppers at Arby's.

00:13:49 - 00:13:50 | Speaker 6:

Are they good?

00:13:50 - 00:14:00 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh. They're so good with the Bronco Berry sauce. It's like next level. You feel like trash the next day because it's like way too much spice, but it kills.

00:14:00 - 00:14:07 | Speaker 2:

I saw something the other day, a commercial for Arby's, that honestly looked like it was the most disgusting thing ever, and I thought to myself.

00:14:08 - 00:14:10 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I would never touch the roast beef.

00:14:10 - 00:14:13 | Speaker 2:

No, I love the roast beef. Oh, that's the best.

00:14:13 - 00:14:15 | Speaker 3:

I love Arby's. I haven't had it in forever, though.

00:14:15 - 00:14:37 | Speaker 2:

But, no, this was a new item that they had, and I think it might have been, And if I'm not mistaken, it reminded me of something that you saw at, like, KFC. Hold on a second. I'm trying to get into their website to see if they've got an ad for it. Why are you not in KFC? No, I love KFC. No, but, like, the bowls that they have and things. You ever eat those bowls where they put all the mush in one place?

00:14:38 - 00:14:39 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, that's my favorite. I love that.

00:14:39 - 00:14:40 | Speaker 2:

Are they good?

00:14:40 - 00:14:46 | Speaker 6:

The potato bowls or whatever they're called now. I don't even know what they're called, but they're really good at KFC. Yeah. I'm sorry.

00:14:47 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 3:

My boyfriend and I went to KFC. See, we waited outside for a half an hour, and they never brought us our food. It was so sad. So then we drove to the Taco Bell next door, and I'm spending like 50 bucks on fast food in one night. That was amazing.

00:15:00 - 00:15:06 | Speaker 4:

What's going on? Let's go to Abby. Abby, what's your favorite stress food?

00:15:07 - 00:15:08 | Speaker 3:

Cheesy potatoes.

00:15:09 - 00:15:10 | Speaker 4:

Ooh, cheesy.

00:15:10 - 00:15:10 | Speaker 3:

My favorite.

00:15:10 - 00:15:13 | Speaker 4:

Are they homemade or are they something that you can buy?

00:15:14 - 00:15:16 | Speaker 3:

Homemade. Always homemade.

00:15:16 - 00:15:19 | Speaker 4:

Cheesy potatoes. That's a very Midwestern thing in a casserole dish.

00:15:19 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 3:

Oh, it's so good. Cheesy potatoes, cheesy hash brown. Ooh, my favorite.

00:15:23 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 4:

Delicious. Ray, what's your stress food? Hi, Ray.

00:15:30 - 00:15:38 | Speaker 2:

Hey, sorry about that. Sorry to hear you. Matt, work. I apologize. I just grab a loaf of bread and I will just eat the crust.

00:15:38 - 00:15:42 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh. Do you ever grab a loaf of bread and a stick of butter and just have them together?

00:15:43 - 00:15:52 | Speaker 2:

Not the butter. Just the bread and just work my way around the crust and just ball it up and then kind of toss it in the trash. Try to make it in the trash. I have never heard of anybody doing that.

00:15:52 - 00:15:59 | Speaker 5:

I'm pretty sure Lydia said that she used to do that growing up. Did she really? Yeah. That is like the opposite of every child.

00:15:59 - 00:16:05 | Speaker 2:

I always would eat a diet Coke or drink a diet Coke and eat like half a loaf of bread. Wow.

00:16:06 - 00:16:11 | Speaker 4:

That's good stuff. And it has to be like, does it have to be like the Wonder Bread or whatever, like really soft bread?

00:16:11 - 00:16:13 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. The white bread, too.

00:16:13 - 00:16:20 | Speaker 4:

So good. Just like put your hand right in and know you're going to have the whole thing right at once. And then, of course, top it all off with what, David?

00:16:22 - 00:16:25 | Speaker 2:

I have ice cream. It doesn't matter what time of day. If you're stressed out, ice cream does it.

00:16:26 - 00:16:35 | Speaker 4:

Ice cream makes things better, doesn't it? It does. Especially if you've never had Ray's ice cream. Ray's ice cream is like my favorite. I love that. Yeah.

00:16:35 - 00:16:38 | Speaker 3:

All right. It doesn't matter what kind or what time of day. You got to have some ice cream.

00:16:38 - 00:16:48 | Speaker 4:

Thank you for the call. I appreciate it. Did this conversation make you more stressed out, less stressed out, or hungry? All of you. Hungry. Yeah, probably. Very hungry. Yeah.

00:16:49 - 00:16:57 | Speaker 8:

How smart are you? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events, and you tell us what year it happened.

00:16:57 - 00:17:23 | Speaker 4:

All right. All happened in the same year. This was the year that Kim Kardashian and Kanye welcomed their first daughter, Northwest. Chose this for your clip. This is Northwest performing at one of Kanye's shows. Obviously a little later after she was born. Wolf of Wall Street was in a big movie.

00:17:23 - 00:17:26 | Speaker 5:

This is the greatest company in the world!

00:17:26 - 00:17:29 | Speaker 6:

00:17:30 - 00:17:30 | Speaker 1:

00:17:31 - 00:17:39 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, but married people can't have friends. You're not going to be friends. And the big song, Mirrors, from Justin Timberlake.

00:17:39 - 00:17:40 | Speaker 4:

What year was this?

00:17:46 - 00:18:02 | Speaker 7:

In what year did that crap happen? Call us at 844-MOJO-LIVE to tell us. 844-665-6548. Don't like the weather? Just wait 10 minutes. You're listening to Mojo in the Morning. It's Mojo in the Morning's Back in the Day.

00:18:03 - 00:18:04 | Speaker 8:

What year was this?

00:18:04 - 00:18:08 | Speaker 4:

It was the year that Baby Northwest was born.

00:18:08 - 00:18:20 | Speaker 9:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Cool, cute, cool, yeah. Water, no! Beautiful.

00:18:20 - 00:18:23 | Speaker 4:

Wolf of Wall Street came out in theaters.

00:18:23 - 00:18:26 | Speaker 5:

I was becoming a legend.

00:18:30 - 00:18:30 | Speaker 1:

Aren't you married?

00:18:31 - 00:18:34 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, but married people can't have friends. We're not going to be friends.

00:18:35 - 00:18:46 | Speaker 4:

And the big song. The song that Justin Timberlake wrote for Jessica Biel, Mirs. What year was it, Marcus?

00:18:47 - 00:18:50 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:20:12 - 00:20:14 | Speaker 5:

All right, Shannon, what you got trending in this hour is Dirty on the 30.

00:20:14 - 00:21:15 | Speaker 1:

Well, the three students, the Michigan State University students who were fatally shot on Monday evening during that horrific rampage that police attributed to a 43-year-old Lansing man who then killed himself. We are now learning about all of their beautiful lives. The Clausen community is remembering 2020 Clausen High School graduate Alexandria Werner this morning. She was an all-state athlete in basketball, softball, volleyball. She was a leader, exemplified kindness every day of her life, according to those who were privileged to know her. Brian Fraser graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School in 2021. He was an athlete in lacrosse and swimming and diving and baseball. He was the president of MSU's Phi Delta Theta fraternity. His family says he was the absolute light in their lives. And MSU sophomore, Arielle Anderson of Harper Woods. She had aspirations to become a pediatrician. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, studying, cooking, and movie nights. This is her grandmother speaking about her.

00:21:15 - 00:21:28 | Speaker 4:

I haven't grasped it yet. She was just with me the weekend. So I thank God that he gave me some time to spend with her. She was beautiful.

00:21:29 - 00:21:36 | Speaker 2:

She's the grandmother of 19-year-old Arielle Diamond Anderson, loved ones never imagining that there would be a mass shooting at Michigan State University.

00:21:37 - 00:21:48 | Speaker 4:

Out of 50,000 or 60,000 people, you never could imagine. It could be that 1% chance, but we never imagined that.

00:21:48 - 00:21:51 | Speaker 2:

Arielle loved children and wanted to be a pediatrician.

00:21:51 - 00:22:05 | Speaker 3:

she was a sophomore at Michigan State. They say he had no affiliation with the school. He never went there. He didn't work there. Just a troubled, a troubled person. Great loss for a lot of us.

If he was going to kill himself, he should have just did that without killing the others. Five other students remain in critical condition this morning. I know there is going to be a vigil on the Michigan State campus tonight, and we will have the latest on what we know about this tragedy in about the next 30 minutes or so. In Other Dirty Today, Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde's former nanny who spilled all sorts of details about them to various tabloids is now taking the ex-couple to court. According to the nanny, Olivia totally abandoned the household in 2020 around the same time she started her romance with Harry Styles. It was because of this that she claims a whole lot of pressure was put on her to fill in on multiple fronts beyond just being the primary live-in nanny caring for Olivia and Jason's two kids. She claims she also started to become a shoulder for Jason to lean on. She would stay for hours for him to vent and talk about what was going on. She also says her work duties started to be way more demanding. She was working around the clock. The nanny says the anxiety became unbearable. She was advised by medical professionals that she had to stop working, so she was told to take a three-day break. Well, the nanny claims when she asked for that, she was wrongfully terminated and alleges that Jason and Olivia violated several employment laws in California. By the way, while we're talking about Jason Sudeikis, Ted Lasso going to return for a third season next month. Oh, my God. March 15th, to be exact, yeah.

00:23:32 - 00:23:36 | Speaker 5:

And it's the last one, I think, right? It is. Did they say they're done? Yeah.

00:23:36 - 00:24:27 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, Apple TV Plus gave us a teaser for season three yesterday, and it shows several characters making signs that say believe. You'll cry. They're bringing them in the locker room where Ted Lasso finds them. You'll know the season's going to be bad when you cry at the trailer. And lastly, model Emily Ratajkowski and comedian Eric Andre seem to have made their relationship Instagram official. A very interesting Valentine's Day post. They're both naked. Now, there were lots of rumors that they were hooking up, okay? But the photo posted yesterday on Eric Andre's Instagram seems to indicate, I would say, that they're an official couple. It's Eric sprawled naked on a couch With Emrad completely naked in the background There are clothes all over the floor You can see the photos And all of today's Dirty on the Dirty page At Mojo in the Morning Tag

00:24:27 - 00:24:42 | Speaker 6:

00:24:42 - 00:24:45 | Speaker 5:

This country is going to s**t.

00:24:45 - 00:24:46 | Speaker 1:

You got it on Mojo.

00:24:47 - 00:25:00 | Speaker 6:

It's Mojo in the Morning Senseless Survey. Hello? Hello, sir. This is Bob Dabalina from the U.S. Senseless Bureau. You left a few answers blank in your last survey form we mailed to you, and we're just fine.

00:25:00 - 00:25:03 | Speaker 1:

Following up. Can I ask you three questions? It should only take about 30 seconds or so.

00:25:04 - 00:25:08 | Speaker 4:

You're the government? Yes. It comes up as unlisted. That doesn't clock with me.

00:25:08 - 00:25:14 | Speaker 1:

Oh, right. Well, just because we're a government agency, we don't want people to call us back. But it's just three questions about issues that face voters today.

00:25:15 - 00:25:18 | Speaker 4:

Oh, right. You got 30 seconds before my car gets done here.

00:25:18 - 00:25:39 | Speaker 1:

How many people currently reside in your home? There's four of us. And why do we usually only say, hey, stranger, to people we know? Why do we only... Say, hey, stranger, to people we actually know. You know, we'll say, hey, stranger. Is it for the census? Yeah, we could skip that question if you don't have an opinion on it. Have you ever thought about how adults have snack time every time we fly on an airplane?

00:25:40 - 00:25:41 | Speaker 4:

Not really.

00:25:41 - 00:25:45 | Speaker 1:

What do you think Washington should do about America's growing Flintstone chewable vitamin crisis?

00:25:47 - 00:25:48 | Speaker 4:

You mean like fentanyl?

00:25:48 - 00:25:54 | Speaker 1:

Sure, I guess. They should stop it. Perfect strategy. And did you see the movie Lion King?

00:25:55 - 00:25:56 | Speaker 4:

I did, actually.

00:25:56 - 00:26:02 | Speaker 1:

And where do you think Scar's accent came from? Like, did he study abroad, or where do you think happened there?

00:26:03 - 00:26:05 | Speaker 4:

I haven't really thought about it, to be honest.

00:26:05 - 00:26:12 | Speaker 1:

We'll skip that one then and just go to the last couple questions here. Why do you think food companies are so hell-bent on trying to make pomegranate happen?

00:26:14 - 00:26:15 | Speaker 4:

What is pomegranate?

00:26:15 - 00:26:23 | Speaker 1:

Exactly. Would you watch a reality show that features the behind-the-scenes footage of how Tom Brady is assembled each morning by a talented team of pastry chefs?

00:26:24 - 00:26:24 | Speaker 4:

Hell yeah.

00:26:24 - 00:26:34 | Speaker 1:

And on your Valentine's Day wish list top 10, what number is a honky-tonk-badonka-donk today? You think a snowman smiles when the snowblower's coming?

00:26:35 - 00:26:36 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I think we're done here.

00:26:36 - 00:26:38 | Speaker 1:

Oh, last question. Do you Netflix and chill?

00:26:39 - 00:26:41 | Speaker 4:

All in our area, too. Yeah, I know. Michigan State Interim President Teresa Woodruff expressed her gratitude to the community and sent condolences for the lives lost

00:34:03 - 00:34:22 | Speaker 2:

in a video yesterday. Brief is a profoundly personal thing, and we know the healing process will not be swift. We must take time to think, mourn, and be together. I encourage everyone to honor their feelings and find comfort and solace in the close bonds that knit together our Spartan

family. Classes are canceled for at least the rest of the week. As for that 43-year-old shooter, again, he had no connection to MSU or any of the victims. Investigators say he had psychiatric issues. 00:44:10 - 00:44:14 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Ooh, and Lindsay over at Muse does really good Botox.

00:44:15 - 00:44:20 | Speaker 4:

Specifically, like Botox, like to get rid of some lines on the old forehead or where?

00:44:20 - 00:44:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:44:21 - 00:44:28 | Speaker 4:

All right. Well, congratulations to you. You got through on the phone line. You're the 95th caller. I'm going to grab the 104th caller. Danielle, are you there?

00:44:29 - 00:44:30 | Speaker 2:

I am.

00:44:30 - 00:44:32 | Speaker 4:

Winner two. Congratulations to you.

00:44:32 - 00:44:35 | Speaker 2:

Yay. Thank you. You excited about this?

00:44:35 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 4:

Obviously. I'm so excited. All right. Enjoy. Have it on us. But here's the deal. We didn't tell both of you guys. So, Christy and Danielle, you have to wear a sign on your head that says provided by Mojo in the morning, okay? This face provided by or wherever it is, whatever you're going to do. Thanks to Muse Med Spa in Troy, Michigan. All right, hold on one second. It's Mojo in the morning.

00:45:00 - 00:45:09 | Speaker 6:

We were just having a discussion in the studio. It's kind of goofy, silly stuff. Spike, you should tell the Slim Jim story from Super Bowl Sunday.

00:45:10 - 00:46:04 | Speaker 4:

The Slim Jim mystery. So, I mean, Megan made—my girlfriend, Megan, spent so much time making amazing food for our Super Bowl party, and we had just a couple guests over. But last night, it was trash day, so when I was gathering all the trash around the house, I discovered something strange in the bathroom trash can or as some people call it the powder room the little guest bathroom right off the living room there a bunch of Slim Jim wrappers like the long foot long Slim Jim wrappers were in the bathroom trash but I'm trying to figure out why like someone came to our party where Meg made all these great treats and they smuggled three Slim Jims into the bathroom and ate them in there without anyone seeing and i was like why would they bring this to the party are there a special dietary concern like people need a protein or something

00:46:04 - 00:46:09 | Speaker 6:

if there are that's probably not the greatest diet as a slim jim right i was trying to think

00:46:09 - 00:46:29 | Speaker 4:

because i mean she made sausage stuffed mushrooms she made uh spina calpita or whatever it's called the spinach uh the greek spinach oh the triangle yeah the pastries yeah she made chili she made nachos she made, all kinds of sweets. I saw you making Philly cheesesteaks. Yeah, and chocolate dipped strawberries. I mean, she

00:46:29 - 00:46:39 | Speaker 6:

went crazy with the whole thing. By the way, I'm still thinking that she's trying to kill you with all this food that she's making for you. It's amazing how much she's cooking for you, but this was Super Bowl, so. Well, this

00:46:39 - 00:46:45 | Speaker 4:

is for everybody, but why would someone bring Slim Jims in and eat three of them in the bathroom?

00:46:45 - 00:47:02 | Speaker 6:

Do you guys know people that when they'll come to your party, they will bring their little Yeti cooler full of their own alcohol? Maybe this is the thing maybe people bring their own food are there any people that do that any are there any listeners that bring their own food to a to a party what is it mike your pocket snacks yeah i'm

00:47:02 - 00:47:10 | Speaker 5:

telling you you have to have a pocket snack on you at all time for any situation i've never heard of a slim jim though it would be hard to kind of put in your and not at super bowl that is the

00:47:10 - 00:47:22 | Speaker 3:

ultimate snack holiday yeah there's so many there with like dietary restrictions though because to me like slim jims are safe food and if i go to a party there's a lot of not safe food but slim

00:47:22 - 00:47:29 | Speaker 6:

By the way, it's bad when you say that a Slim Jim is a safe food. It's loaded with sodium and crap.

00:47:29 - 00:47:39 | Speaker 3:

Okay, but as somebody who has lots and lots of stomach issues, when you find something that doesn't give you stomach issues, oh, it's the holy grail. It doesn't matter what it is. I will eat it all the time. Yeah.

00:47:39 - 00:47:42 | Speaker 6:

Mike, what are some of your pocket snacks that you like to put?

00:47:42 - 00:47:57 | Speaker 5:

I love Cheez-Its, like those little bags of Cheez-Its. Those tiny Oreos. Those little, little, tiny Oreos are my favorite. Not popcorn as much anymore. That's for the kids really But anything Like a Slim Jim would be tough Because it would stick out of your pocket And it would just be bulky

00:47:57 - 00:48:06 | Speaker 6:

Do you, Mike, when you put them in there Do you always have them Are they professionally packaged Or do you put them in a Ziploc little baggie And they put it there in your pocket

00:48:06 - 00:48:13 | Speaker 5:

So most of them are professionally Because we pack them for the kids' lunches But I have put them in a Ziploc before I'm not going to lie

00:48:13 - 00:48:16 | Speaker 6:

Okay, yeah, bringing that to a little party

00:48:16 - 00:48:33 | Speaker 4:

Like I'll bring pocket snacks I'll bring a protein bar in my pocket to my one friend who never makes enough food. Like, they'll say, come over to Michigan game, and then I go over to the Michigan game, and literally it's one bowl of chips, and there's like six guys there for a whole game. So I'm like, you know, I know I got to bring something.

00:48:33 - 00:48:38 | Speaker 1:

Wouldn't it be funny? But even in that case, I would eat in the car. Like, I don't want them to see that I'm eating something else.

00:48:38 - 00:48:43 | Speaker 4:

Meg and I texted our guests and said, do not bring anything. We have so much food. Yeah.

00:48:43 - 00:49:02 | Speaker 6:

Wouldn't it be funny, though, if your friend that doesn't have enough chips, if all of a sudden you just randomly pulled out of your thing and you refilled the bowl of chips. You guys are like, where do those things come from? 844 Mojo Live, 844 Sarah, 665-6548. I would say, Sarah, I looked up your name. I would go, 844 Sarah. Hi, Sarah, what's going on?

00:49:02 - 00:49:03 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. How are you?

00:49:04 - 00:49:06 | Speaker 6:

Good, Sarah. What do you bring to a party?

00:49:07 - 00:49:08 | Speaker 2:

Always a Diet Coke in the purse.

00:49:09 - 00:49:11 | Speaker 6:

Got to have it because people don't usually have Diet Coke, right?

00:49:12 - 00:49:19 | Speaker 2:

Well, I know. Everybody's gotten away from Diet Coke, and God forbid it's a Diet Pepsi, the worst. So you always got to bring a Diet Coke. You always have to be prepared.

00:49:19 - 00:49:21 | Speaker 6:

What about Coke Zero? Have you tried Coke Zero?

00:49:22 - 00:49:24 | Speaker 2:

Oh, it's the worst. It tastes like regular Coke.

00:49:24 - 00:49:27 | Speaker 6:

Oh, so you like the taste of Diet Coke, because I hate the taste of Diet Coke. Right.

00:49:28 - 00:49:33 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I love the taste. I don't do it because of the calories or the sugar. I do it because I love the taste. Wow. I do not like the taste of the diet Coke. I know.

00:49:33 - 00:49:38 | Speaker 5:

It tastes like battery acid. No, I feel like that's everybody who drinks Diet Coke and likes it.

00:49:38 - 00:49:39 | Speaker 2:

But it tastes like chemicals.

00:49:40 - 00:49:46 | Speaker 6:

I think they just program your taste buds to it. That's why it's so great. Diet Coke from McDonald's is the only Diet Coke that I can actually swallow.

00:49:46 - 00:49:51 | Speaker 2:

That's what I was going to say, Mojo. It's about the straw. It's about the Fountain Diet Coke. McDonald's is nothing better. It is about the straw.

00:49:52 - 00:49:58 | Speaker 6:

But if I could get that full fat Coke, that's the fun to get. Morgan, what's going on?

00:49:59 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 1:

Good morning.

00:50:00 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 6:

Morning.

00:50:00 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 3:

Morning.

00:50:01 - 00:50:08 | Speaker 6:

So I'm pregnant, and I keep, like, five different types of snacks in my purse at all times.

00:50:09 - 00:50:12 | Speaker 3:

Got to have them, right? You never know when your blood sugar is going to be different.

00:50:13 - 00:50:13 | Speaker 6:

Exactly.

00:50:14 - 00:50:17 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Got a low blood sugar. I need myself a snack.

00:50:17 - 00:50:28 | Speaker 6:

Always craving something different. Like, I just stopped at the gas station, and I got some sort of carb snack, and then I got cookies and some sort of sour candy.

00:50:28 - 00:50:43 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. That is a perk to having kids is like, if ever I'm hungry, I can always find something in my car. It might be old, might be new in a package. You never know. But there's always something that can save me. Do you eat the open packages that you find in your car? Depends on what it is.

00:50:45 - 00:51:07 | Speaker 3:

I always try to keep kind bars or peanut packages. Like I'll go to the Shell station by my house and I'll buy a bunch of those like Mr. Peanut or Planter's Peanut. That little, like, you know how they come in, like, in little cards? Yeah, like a skinny, long package. Yeah, because sometimes you get a little, like, holy crap, my stomach is, you know, growling like crazy. What's up, Kimberly?

00:51:09 - 00:51:15 | Speaker 5:

Hi, guys. I had to call in and let you guys know that for certain, like, holidays or events, my dad brings his own ketchup.

00:51:16 - 00:51:21 | Speaker 3:

Your dad brings his own, like, a ketchup bottle? Yep. Really?

00:51:22 - 00:51:29 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, he likes a certain kind. So if it's ever, like, you know, Thanksgiving or something where he's going to need ketchup, he brings his own in the cooler.

00:51:29 - 00:51:31 | Speaker 4:

Get the hot sauce in the bag. Swag.

00:51:32 - 00:51:35 | Speaker 3:

Does he ever share? Like, if somebody else goes, oh, I like that ketchup.

00:51:36 - 00:51:37 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I'm sure he would.

00:51:38 - 00:51:40 | Speaker 3:

What kind of ketchup is the good ketchup?

00:51:41 - 00:51:43 | Speaker 5:

He makes Brooks Tangy ketchup.

00:51:44 - 00:51:47 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? Brooks Tangy. What is Brooks Tangy?

00:51:47 - 00:51:55 | Speaker 5:

But I like Tangy. It's just a small kind of company. And that's, I mean, I don't know the difference, but apparently he does.

00:51:55 - 00:52:17 | Speaker 3:

I don't like, this is interesting with ketchup on a totally different note. I don't like the, um, generic-y ketchups. Like the ones that are just labeled, you know, tomato or something or whatever. You know, like you ever have that where you go somewhere and somebody has that like for their hot dog and like, oh, I gotta, I gotta have like Heinz. Isn't there only like three ingredients?

00:52:17 - 00:52:24 | Speaker 8:

Well, but no, but it's like, yeah. Yeah, it's like the amount of vinegar and sugar that the ratio has to be just right.

00:52:24 - 00:52:30 | Speaker 3:

Sometimes I'll go to a restaurant and they have bad ketchup in it. I wish I was like your dad, bring my own ketchup.

00:52:30 - 00:52:33 | Speaker 4:

Now, if I found ketchup in the bathroom trash can, I would have been alarmed.

00:52:34 - 00:52:40 | Speaker 3:

Mike, Courtney actually brings up an interesting point. When we were on Ideal You, we used to have to bring our own food. Because why, Courtney?

00:52:42 - 00:52:50 | Speaker 7:

Well, we are on a diet. So instead of asking the whole family to eat something different, we bring our own food and we cook it at the other person's house.

00:52:50 - 00:52:55 | Speaker 3:

People don't ever get offended When you ask them to use their pots and pans And things

00:52:55 - 00:52:59 | Speaker 7:

No I usually wash them when I'm done I'd be polite about it

00:52:59 - 00:53:06 | Speaker 2:

I don't know that I could I don't know that I could ask somebody to just cook at their house I mean I like that it's a great idea I don't know that I could do it

00:53:06 - 00:53:14 | Speaker 3:

It's kind of almost bold but I think you must have really nice friends What happens if they want some of your stuff Although you're on a diet Nobody really wants that

00:53:14 - 00:53:18 | Speaker 7:

Well we're just on keto so it's a lot of meat

00:53:18 - 00:53:19 | Speaker 3:

And no carbs

00:53:19 - 00:53:20 | Speaker 7:

So we usually share.

00:53:20 - 00:53:24 | Speaker 3:

I saw a lady buying keto bread the other day at the grocery store.

00:53:25 - 00:53:28 | Speaker 7:

Oh, it's so good. Is it? It's so good. It's way better than normal bread.

00:53:29 - 00:53:32 | Speaker 3:

What's not in the bread that makes it keto? Like, I want to know that.

00:53:32 - 00:53:36 | Speaker 7:

Listen, I don't know. Carbs? I don't know what else is in it.

00:53:37 - 00:53:40 | Speaker 4:

But keto is a low-carb, high-fat diet, isn't it?

00:53:41 - 00:53:49 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Yeah. But there's definitely no – like, I think flour is out, right? They don't really put flour in there because it's bad keto diet. Sounds miserable. Just let me be fat.

00:53:50 - 00:53:55 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, also, as soon as we said keto bread is good, I was like, well, now I don't trust your judgment on anything. Right?

00:53:57 - 00:53:59 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:53:59 - 00:54:08 | Speaker 3:

All right, Shannon, with an update for us right now, we're going to see what's trending, and, of course, everything in East Lansing, Michigan State University, and that shooting. What's going on?

00:54:08 - 00:54:27 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. A college student who survived the MSU shooting on Monday night was also at the horrific Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre a decade ago. Can you imagine? This is Jackie Matthews. Is it Jackie Matthews or Shannon Watts? Oh, sorry, this is Shannon Watts.

00:54:27 - 00:54:30 | Speaker 4:

Sorry, there's two. No, Shannon Watts is the person who posted it.

00:54:30 - 00:55:01 | Speaker 1:

Okay, I was going to say, Jackie. Now you're confusing me. Maybe it is Jackie Matthews. I thought her name is Jackie Matthews. I am 21 years old, and this is the second mass shooting that I have now lived through. Ten years and two months ago, I survived the Sandy Hook shooting. the fact that this is the second mass shooting that I have now lived through is incomprehensible my heart goes out to all the families and the friends of the victims of this Michigan State shooting but we can no longer just provide love and prayers it needs to be legislation it needs to be action

00:55:00 - 00:55:09 | Speaker 2:

It's not okay. We can no longer allow this to happen. We can no longer be complacent. I'll forever be Sandy Hook strong and forever be Spartan strong.

00:55:10 - 00:55:53 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Jackie is a senior at State. Brian Fraser of Grosse Pointe, Alexandria Verner of Clausen, and Ariel Diamond Anderson of Harper Woods were identified as the students who lost their lives on Monday night. Five other students remain in critical condition at Sparrow Hospital this morning. Police are still searching for a motive here. They don't know why that shooter came to campus, specifically no affiliation with the university in any way. He did have a gun-related criminal history. His estranged brother says the shooter was definitely a loner. He lived with his dad at the end of a quiet street in Lansing's North End. And neighbors say they heard gunshots coming from the home from time to time.

00:55:54 - 00:56:02 | Speaker 2:

Neighbors of Anthony McRae, the shooter who gunned down eight MSU students last night, told us they often heard gunfire coming from his Lansing home.

00:56:02 - 00:56:05 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, throughout the summer there was random gunshots once in a while.

00:56:05 - 00:56:09 | Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I've heard those. I didn't know exactly where they were coming from.

00:56:09 - 00:57:00 | Speaker 1:

How often would you hear them? At least a couple times a month. Yeah, we will have another update for you at the top of the hour. In Other Dirty Today, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly spotted together yesterday, despite all of those breakup rumors. They were photographed together in a car. This after being spotted on Monday leaving a therapist's office. Now, rumors first begin to swirl about their relationship status after Meghan deleted all photos of MGK from her Instagram account. That was on Super Bowl Sunday. Sources again telling me they've had issues in the past. Things seem pretty serious this time as she did take off her engagement ring. Actress Rebel Wilson responding to some backlash that she was getting on social media for going to two parties in one night, just a week after her daughter Royce was born via surrogate.

00:57:00 - 00:57:29 | Speaker 5:

Oh yeah, I think it was only a week until I got mum shamed, because that was our one night out. I mean, our baby was like one week old, and then the nanny's like, go, and I'm like, no, no, no, I don't. The baby goes to sleep at about 7 o'clock every night. So she's like, the baby is asleep. Like you're totally fine Just go out But I was shocked At the criticism Because like Chris Hemsworth Goes to the gym Or people aren't yelling Where's your kids Like what are you doing Where are your kids But why do they do it To every woman She's got a great point

00:57:29 - 00:57:32 | Speaker 3:

Nothing better than Moms telling other moms How to mom

00:57:32 - 00:58:15 | Speaker 1:

It's all over Facebook Got a great point Yep And oh no Is Easter Even going to happen This year A man in London Is facing jail time After stealing close to 200,000 Cadbury Cream A's. Oh, no. I understand. Worse. More than $37,000 after the theft. Police said a man in a vehicle presumably purporting to be the Easter Bunny was stopped. The suspect was arrested on suspension of theft. His name is Joby Poole. He was charged with criminal damage and two counts of theft. He used a stolen truck with false plates to steal a trailer containing all of those precious Cadbury cream eggs. He's innocent.

00:58:16 - 00:58:18 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you'd do the time for the crime, wouldn't you?

00:58:18 - 00:58:21 | Speaker 1:

For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on mojointhemorning.com.

00:58:22 - 00:58:26 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. Mojo in the morning's dirt. And another phone scam coming up in minutes.

00:58:27 - 00:58:28 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Caitlin.

00:58:29 - 00:58:30 | Unknown:

Hi, how are you?

00:58:30 - 00:58:33 | Speaker 4:

Good. You're a winner. Congratulations to you.

00:58:35 - 00:58:36 | Speaker 5:

What a way to start the morning.

00:58:36 - 00:58:44 | Speaker 4:

We're setting you up with tickets to see Kid Leroy at Eastern Michigan University at EMU's George Gervin Center. Congratulations.

00:58:45 - 00:58:46 | Speaker 5:

Thank you so much.

00:58:46 - 00:58:56 | Speaker 4:

Thank you. Hang on the phone and we'll get you set up with those tickets. Tickets are available. You can go to Ticketmaster.com. We'll have more tickets tomorrow morning for that, so don't go anywhere,

00:58:56 - 00:59:00 | Speaker 5:

okay? Thank you so much. Have a great day, guys. You too.

00:59:00 - 00:59:06 | Speaker 4:

Take care of yourself. And whatever you do, don't put an open mic in front of Kid Leroy when you're on the radio

00:59:06 - 00:59:09 | Speaker 1:

because... He'll say the F word a couple times.

00:59:10 - 00:59:22 | Speaker 4:

And I get in trouble for saying what I said yesterday. So I got reprimanded by the boss yesterday on that. Which is, by the way, which, which, by the way, is a bunch of bull.

00:59:23 - 00:59:25 | Speaker 1:

So I stood by you, by the way.

00:59:26 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Well, I'm going to say this to you that we all going down. If you going down, it happened. And and honestly, it is. And I said this to the boss and he doesn't understand this, but I said it would be and And I get it, Tony. They're two different federal agencies. But if the FCC were to find me on the day that we are talking about the horrific shootings that took place at Michigan State University, and we don't figure out what the hell we're doing with people who are mentally deranged walking on a college.

01:00:00 - 01:00:05 | Speaker 3:

campus to kill people that would be insane so yeah but afterwards when the boss calls you in

01:00:05 - 01:00:08 | Speaker 2:

the office just so you understand because we're going to do more training now they're going to

01:00:08 - 01:00:12 | Speaker 7:

make us do more i've already done that training three times now i got two strikes i can't really

01:00:12 - 01:01:35 | Speaker 3:

do anymore um all right i'll move on because it's not interesting to hear me bitch about it but if you'd like to i'll i'm doing a podcast later today by the way he's allowed to say bitch called f the boss. All right. It's a mojo in the morning show. So I got unfriended and I wanted to point it out. I won't actually say who the person is, but I'll definitely point out the situation because I want to see if you guys think that this is something that is justified. So a friend of mine broke up with this girl that he had been dating for over a year or so and we were friends and uh you know I could see all of her uh her stuff and then we had a conversation uh me and a couple other people about the post breakup and how he's like out and about and having fun and I said well I wonder what she's doing so I go to her social media to see what she's doing and I got unfriended oh I couldn't believe it. I was like, what's the story with this? What did you do? What did I do? I didn't do anything. Here's the craziest part of the whole thing. I got unfriended. Another guy friend of his got unfriended. But he didn't get unfriended. Really? Why would you unfriend the friends but not unfriend the person that was the person that broke up with you?

01:01:35 - 01:01:46 | Speaker 7:

She wants him to see all her thirst traps. Is that it? Yeah. Oh. I don't see it. She doesn't want you guys spying on her. Like, she wants y'all out of the picture.

01:01:47 - 01:02:04 | Speaker 3:

But I'm not spying, and I never spied. And actually, to be perfectly honest with you, when I would see her picture up on the story portion of Instagram, I would always do a good job of skipping over because I didn't want her to think I was doing that instead of my random just going through whatever the ones are that are up there, you know?

01:02:04 - 01:02:05 | Speaker 8:

Oh, Joe.

01:02:05 - 01:02:06 | Speaker 3:

Yes. What's that?

01:02:07 - 01:02:23 | Speaker 8:

You are very cute right now, acting like you wouldn't do anything about it. But we all know that if anybody was dating one of your friends and broke up, you would dig and dig and dig for material to bring up. No way. You're the first person getting unfriended, for sure.

01:02:23 - 01:02:31 | Speaker 3:

Megan, first off, I did not justify this breakup. I thought it was a stupid move on his part. This guy's living his best life right now.

01:02:31 - 01:02:32 | Speaker 8:

She doesn't know that. You're the enemy.

01:02:33 - 01:02:39 | Speaker 3:

Well, but I wasn't the enemy to her when we were all hanging out with each other recently as less than a month ago.

01:02:39 - 01:02:43 | Speaker 7:

What are you more upset about, getting unfriended or that you can't see the thirst traps?

01:02:44 - 01:03:07 | Speaker 3:

He can't snow. Both. Honestly, I think the thing that bummed me out the most was I feel like it's judging me. And I actually, I don't think she understands how supportive I was. But I wanted to ask this question of if somebody unfriends you, should I just go right now and just, again, request? Yes. Should I do it right away just to let her know that I know what's going on?

01:03:07 - 01:03:07 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

01:03:08 - 01:03:10 | Speaker 3:

Marlene, what's happening? Is Mojo in the Morning Show?

01:03:11 - 01:03:13 | Speaker 6:

Hey, I know exactly what she's doing.

01:03:14 - 01:03:15 | Speaker 3:

What's that?

01:03:15 - 01:03:43 | Speaker 6:

She unfriended everyone that they have mutual friends with. And she put him on sleep mode so she can't see anything that he posts. But he can still see her posts. So that way he can see that she's living it up, having a good life, and she won't be in her feelings or bothered by seeing any comments or anything that she's doing. You can still be friends with someone And not allow them to show up on your news feed

01:03:43 - 01:03:47 | Speaker 3:

Okay This is a toxic thing

01:03:47 - 01:03:57 | Speaker 1:

This is I want you to see me happy And I want you to know how bad you're missing out on me And you're going to watch everything I do But I'm not going to see what you're doing

01:03:57 - 01:04:17 | Speaker 3:

But here's the thing though Both of you guys Spike and Shannon have gone through divorces I'm still friends with your Exes on there and actually comment on things. Nobody unfriended me there. And this guy, actually, to be honest with you, I feel like is just as close as these guys are. Why would that happen?

01:04:18 - 01:04:22 | Speaker 6:

Mojo, you should raise her with a block. So when she does...

01:04:22 - 01:04:27 | Speaker 7:

I love that you said you should raise her. Yeah.

01:04:29 - 01:04:34 | Speaker 2:

I'll see your unfriend and I'll raise you a block. That is expert level trolling right there.

01:04:34 - 01:04:35 | Speaker 3:

Marlene, where have you been my whole life?

01:04:35 - 01:04:39 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I love, I know all the ins and outs on Facebook

01:04:39 - 01:04:45 | Speaker 3:

You're good Alright, thank you for the call, Marlene Thank you for the explanation Amanda, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning

01:04:45 - 01:04:56 | Speaker 5:

Um, so I was just saying that She probably kept him so she could creep on him But she probably, like, hides her stories and stuff, you know Yeah, couldn't do it the other way Right

01:04:56 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 3:

Have you ever had somebody unfriend you and it hurt?

01:05:00 - 01:05:01 | Speaker 5:

Like it made you sad?

01:05:01 - 01:05:13 | Speaker 2:

You know, I was trying to think about that, but I don't, I don't know. You know, I just like, I just don't, I don't know. I don't keep track. And I actually saw like, I've had less followers, but I like couldn't tell you who it was.

01:05:13 - 01:05:13 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:05:14 - 01:05:20 | Speaker 5:

I don't know what the story is, but when she did it, I got so like, I don't know.

01:05:20 - 01:05:26 | Speaker 4:

It is like, it's like your feelings kind of get hurt. Right. And you're offended all at the same time.

01:05:26 - 01:05:27 | Speaker 5:

It made me.

01:05:27 - 01:05:29 | Speaker 4:

Especially when you go to love, you know?

01:05:29 - 01:05:31 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. It made me want to write a song

01:05:31 - 01:05:35 | Speaker 3:

We were good We were gone

01:05:35 - 01:05:35 | Speaker 5:

Yes

01:05:35 - 01:05:38 | Speaker 3:

I know you, Miley

01:05:38 - 01:05:42 | Speaker 5:

Miley, now I know what you're talking about here I feel like I've been broken up in a relationship

01:05:42 - 01:05:50 | Speaker 2:

Yes Megan was right, though, what she said about you Don't do that

01:05:50 - 01:05:52 | Speaker 5:

She's going to play this back for me all the time

01:05:52 - 01:05:55 | Speaker 3:

Hold on, group sing along

01:05:55 - 01:05:56 | Speaker 5:

Here we go, ready?

01:05:59 - 01:06:15 | Speaker 3:

By the way, you have a beautiful voice, Amanda.

01:06:20 - 01:06:23 | Speaker 5:

I don't let them do that to you, okay?

01:06:29 - 01:06:46 | Speaker 3:

wow hi erica hi i just i just had a question so maybe she just um restricted you from seeing her post and she hid her post from you did she actually unfriend you uh well i can't uh see

01:06:46 - 01:06:52 | Speaker 5:

her stuff i'm i'm no longer it says let me uh look and see if it says unfriend it if it says

01:06:52 - 01:06:53 | Speaker 6:

Look at her actual account.

01:06:54 - 01:06:54 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:06:54 - 01:07:09 | Speaker 5:

So when I look at the account, it says, no, it gives me the request, the follow bar. Oh, yeah. So that's what it gives. Yeah, you're unfriended. Yeah. Oh, man. So I'm unfriended. She really does.

01:07:09 - 01:07:13 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay. Sometimes on social media, you can hide yourself from people. Right.

01:07:13 - 01:07:19 | Speaker 6:

Right. There's smart ways to do it if you're just trying to keep the nosy people out. She wanted you to know you're unfriended.

01:07:19 - 01:07:22 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, she wanted you to know. I'm with the other lady. Yeah, raise her a block.

01:07:22 - 01:07:26 | Speaker 5:

Thank you, buddy. I appreciate you calling.

01:09:16 - 01:09:25 | Speaker 4:

By the way, I love this text. I wonder why she unfriended the person who was talking to millions of people about her on the radio right now. My first thought.

01:09:26 - 01:09:42 | Speaker 5:

Mojo on the Morning Show. We have some prizes to give away. You know what it is? It's Red Wing Wednesday. I have not, and this is going to sound sacrilegious. I've ever been to a Red Wings game at Little Caesars Arena. You're kidding. I haven't either. I have not. Oh, my gosh.

01:09:42 - 01:09:47 | Speaker 1:

I've been to the Joe numerous times. The sight lines are so much better. It's so much better than the Joe.

01:09:47 - 01:09:47 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah.

01:09:48 - 01:09:55 | Speaker 1:

I love the Joe. Don't get me wrong. I was obviously, like, raised there. But, oh, LCA is great for Wings games. Should I see if they'll host us?

01:09:55 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 5:

That would be nice. Yeah. If they would do that. Honestly, I'd even sit in.

01:11:14 - 01:11:14 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

01:11:14 - 01:11:58 | Speaker 1:

At our jingle ball, when KP and Lydia and Lester went all the way up to the top to go bring somebody all the way down to the front row, I look up at these seats, I'm going, holy crap, who sits in those? But they say that the Wings games are perfect for it because you can see the entire ice. All right, Mojo on the Morning Show is your home of the phone scams. James got so drunk at a work event, he called in sick Monday morning after the Super Bowl. His coworkers told us he drank too much and then fell asleep at the party before the game was over. They told Spike to make him think that he's in trouble at work because he's so nervous about how he acted in front of customers. It's a Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

01:11:58 - 01:12:04 | Speaker 2:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song.

01:12:05 - 01:12:11 | Speaker 3:

It's your home of phone scams. Mojo in the Morning. Hello?

01:12:12 - 01:12:18 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, hello. Hello, this is Dewana McCoolid from ****** Human Resources calling for James.

01:12:19 - 01:12:21 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, this is James.

01:12:21 - 01:12:28 | Speaker 2:

Hi, James. I hope you have a second to talk here. I understand you took a personal day. So are you at home and not at the office?

01:12:30 - 01:12:31 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm at home.

01:12:31 - 01:12:36 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's all for the better because we have to discuss about what happened yesterday. Do you know why I'm calling?

01:12:39 - 01:12:39 | Speaker 3:

No.

01:12:39 - 01:12:45 | Speaker 2:

Do you know that you acted inappropriate at the Super Bowl party that you were at with your clients?

01:12:46 - 01:12:46 | Speaker 3:

No.

01:12:47 - 01:13:00 | Speaker 2:

We got a call from two co-workers of yours, and we did corroborate the story with one of our customers that was at the party. It sounds like you were a hot mess yesterday. Did you have too much to drink at the party?

01:13:02 - 01:13:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, there was a lot of drink there. They were serving us. And, I mean, I remember I did drink, but I don't remember doing anything inappropriate.

01:13:13 - 01:13:16 | Speaker 2:

Well, maybe because you were unconscious. Do you remember being unconscious?

01:13:18 - 01:13:20 | Speaker 3:

I may have fallen asleep a little bit.

01:13:20 - 01:13:40 | Speaker 2:

Let me give you a little rundown of what we were told happened at the party. And maybe you don't remember a lot of this because you were unconscious and intoxicated. But apparently you put your whole hand in the chili bowl at the food table. And you also poured Jack Daniels on the taco salad to, as you said, make it healthier.

01:13:42 - 01:13:42 | Speaker 3:

What?

01:13:43 - 01:13:50 | Speaker 2:

Do you remember destroying the food that was put out for the customers? No. Do you remember seeing the band Modal Nodes that played before the game?

01:13:51 - 01:13:55 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I know there was a band. I don't remember to know their name.

01:13:56 - 01:14:19 | Speaker 2:

Oh, good. You were still conscious enough to remember there's a band. Because I was told that you jumped on stage, took the lead singer's microphone, and you announced which one of you lucky ladies is going to tuck my drunk ass into bed. Oh, my God. Dude, what? Any of this ringing a bell with you? No. You don't remember thinking that halftime was your own personal opportunity for karaoke?

01:14:20 - 01:14:22 | Speaker 3:

No, I don't remember any of that.

01:14:22 - 01:14:28 | Speaker 2:

James, you embarrassed our company in front of several clients at the party, made a mess of it.

01:14:28 - 01:14:28 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:14:29 - 01:14:33 | Speaker 2:

That hangover that you called in sick for is your body reminding you that you're an idiot.

01:14:34 - 01:14:35 | Speaker 3:

I am so, so sorry.

01:14:35 - 01:14:37 | Speaker 2:

What do you suppose we should do about this?

01:14:38 - 01:14:44 | Speaker 3:

I can just say I'm sorry. I have no idea. I really don't drink like that.

01:14:45 - 01:14:50 | Speaker 2:

So you're saying you don't drink like that, but you obviously were aware that you were intoxicated.

01:14:51 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 3:

You know, I think I actually might be allergic to alcohol, and that's why I don't drink that much, because of the way it affects my body.

01:14:59 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 2:

No.

01:15:00 - 01:15:01 | Speaker 5:

You think you might be allergic.

01:15:01 - 01:15:08 | Speaker 4:

This doesn't happen to me. Like, I don't drink like this. And this might be some kind of reaction or something. I don't know.

01:15:09 - 01:15:19 | Speaker 5:

At the end of the night, you were sitting in front of the entrance of the restaurant, in the mud, eating pizza with your shoes off. Clients saying to our managers, is that your guy?

01:15:20 - 01:15:21 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

01:15:21 - 01:15:26 | Speaker 5:

What do you think we should do with an employee who blacks out at a company-endorsed event?

01:15:27 - 01:15:32 | Speaker 4:

I think maybe you should let me call and apologize to everybody, please.

01:15:32 - 01:15:41 | Speaker 5:

Oh, you want us to put you back on the phone with the people you already left messages for and offended. Do you want to hear the message you left for your boss last night?

01:15:42 - 01:15:42 | Speaker 4:

I don't think I do.

01:15:45 - 01:15:49 | Speaker 5:

We will, we will scam you. You hear that, James?

01:15:51 - 01:15:51 | Speaker 4:

What?

01:15:52 - 01:15:56 | Speaker 5:

James, this is Spike from the Mojo on the morning show. You've just been the victim of a phone scam.

01:15:57 - 01:15:58 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

01:15:59 - 01:16:02 | Speaker 5:

Congratulations. Sounds like you had quite the Super Bowl party.

01:16:04 - 01:16:05 | Speaker 4:

Bro, I thought I was going to throw up, dude.

01:16:08 - 01:16:20 | Speaker 5:

When Zaylee sent us the information and said, here's all the things that happened at the party, I thought, no, no, no, don't make stuff up. I'll make the stuff up. Tell me what he really did. And she's like, no, that's what he really did.

01:16:21 - 01:16:22 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

01:16:22 - 01:16:25 | Speaker 5:

All I know is you've got to come to our next party.

01:16:25 - 01:16:27 | Speaker 4:

Dude, no, man. I'm never partying again, dude.

01:16:31 - 01:16:35 | Speaker 5:

We will, we will scam you.

01:16:37 - 01:16:39 | Speaker 6:

Hey, just tuning in.

01:16:39 - 01:16:45 | Speaker 5:

We interrupt this message to tell you that was funny. He's the home of the world-famous phone scams.

01:16:45 - 01:16:46 | Speaker 3:

You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

01:16:48 - 01:16:51 | Speaker 5:

Hey, this is Steve Eisenman, and you're waking up with Mojo in the Morning.

01:16:52 - 01:16:52 | Speaker 6:

Cam?

01:16:53 - 01:16:54 | Speaker 3:

Yes?

01:16:54 - 01:17:10 | Speaker 6:

Winner. Congratulations to you. Going to see the wings. Oh, my God. Thank you so much. It's Red Wing Wednesday, and you got tickets to see them take on the Rangers. Tickets still available, by the way, for that. So make sure that you get them. Red Wings. Congratulations. Hang on the phone, okay?

01:17:10 - 01:17:13 | Speaker 5:

No clouds in my stone.

01:17:24 - 01:18:21 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. Welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. Coming up this hour on the Mojo in the Morning Show, the proposal ultimatum. We will talk about that with Shannon. Bad day for our producer yesterday. She was out on the streets, literally out on the streets. Or maybe you got stuck behind her at the drive-thru. What a horrible day for KP. She'll talk about that. and what could be the greatest breakup ever, live-streamed. We will get into all that and more on our post-Valentine's Day broadcast here, even though Valentine's Day was falling on a Tuesday. Nobody was really caring about it probably, right? All right, let me real quick, they'll get to an update. We'll get a news update in here on the latest from the Michigan State University shooting.

01:18:22 - 01:18:40 | Speaker 1:

The latest on what we know, we now know the names of the three students that lost their lives in Monday Night's Tragedy on campus. They are 20-year-old Brian Fraser from Grosse Pointe, 20-year-old Alexandria Werner from Clausen, and 19-year-old Ariel Diamond Anderson from Harper Woods.

01:18:40 - 01:18:49 | Speaker 3:

You want to talk about a little angel? Her name is Ariel. She helps everybody, anybody at any time.

01:18:49 - 01:19:12 | Speaker 1:

From the Grosse Pointe area to East Lansing, communities are mourning and beginning the healing process with vigils and tributes and services. I know there is a vigil tonight on the campus of MSU. Interim President Teresa Woodruff expressing her gratitude to the community, to first responders, doctors, and sending condolences for the lives lost yesterday.

01:19:12 - 01:19:31 | Speaker 2:

Grief is a profoundly personal thing, and we know the healing process will not be swift. We must take time to think, mourn, and be together. I encourage everyone to honor their feelings and find comfort and solace in the close bonds that knit together our Spartan family.

01:19:31 - 01:19:58 | Speaker 1:

Classes are canceled for at least the rest of this week. As for the shooter, again, there's no connection to MSU or any of the victims. Investigators say he had psychiatric issues. They did find a three-page document in his pocket expressing his reasons for the attack and a number of additional locations in Michigan, New Jersey, and Colorado, which he thought were deserving of an attack. Detectives still trying to figure out a motive. Why MSU? And we'll have another update for you coming up in the journey.

01:19:58 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 6:

I don't even know if we need why.

01:20:00 - 01:20:31 | Speaker 1:

why the guy was nuts but the the thing that we definitely need to know why is the fact that uh he shouldn't have had a gun and uh that story uh you know we hear all too often the fact that uh this guy this anthony mccray guy was um weaponized even though he if the laws were followed would not be. Here's a report from Channel 7. Ross Jones did a good

01:20:31 - 01:20:40 | Speaker 2:

report yesterday on this. Neighbors of Anthony McCray, the shooter who gunned down eight MSU students last night, told us they often heard gunfire coming

01:20:40 - 01:20:43 | Speaker 3:

from his Lansing home. Yeah, throughout the summer there was some random gun

01:20:43 - 01:21:21 | Speaker 2:

shots once in a while. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I've heard those. I didn't know exactly where they were coming from. How often would you hear them? At least a couple times a month. By law, the shooter should never have had a gun, not after a 2019 weapons conviction stemming from this abandoned office in Lansing. Police reported finding the gunman sitting on the steps here around 2 a.m. He was carrying a .380 semi-automatic pistol. It was loaded, officers found, and there was another magazine in his pocket. With no permit to carry, the gunman was charged with a felony that would later be pled down to a misdemeanor. His sentence was 18 months probation. But MSU may not have been the gunman's

01:21:21 - 01:22:11 | Speaker 1:

only target police in new interesting thing is the the story that's out this morning about him is that uh he should have not had a gun but there was the former district attorney uh in ingham county carol simon lowered his charges to a misdemeanor even though it should not have been a misdemeanor um and now is being called soft on crime and there are people that are really upset about this and i guess that they were upset about this and this this just shows you we don't pay attention sometimes to some of the the things that some of these lawmakers are doing but she kind of and with some other uh people that are politicians that honestly should have fingers pointed at them today she kind of did this um right before she left office because she's no

01:22:11 - 01:22:25 | Speaker 3:

longer the district attorney but this is the women it's black and this is the sheriff of ingham County, Scott Wigglesworth. It's rural and urban. It's that document, the people on that document are literally a cross-section of elected leaders in the county and who lives in this county.

01:22:25 - 01:22:34 | Speaker 4:

Elam County Sheriff Scott Wigglesworth is pushing for Seaman to reconsider the change, making his case to local elected officials and collecting signatures.

01:22:35 - 01:22:56 | Speaker 3:

My idea was to meet individually with the 23 elected leaders in the county, 16 township supervisors, five elected mayor, and two village presidents to get their take on this policy. I in no way intended that to mean that they were speaking on behalf of their boards or every resident that lives in the township city or village. It was just a way for me to gauge how

01:22:56 - 01:23:13 | Speaker 4:

the community felt about this. Michigan created the felony firearm charge in 1976 because of a rise in gun violence. It's essentially a penalty for carrying a gun while committing another crime. Whether you use the gun or not, it carries a two-year sentence.

01:23:13 - 01:23:28 | Speaker 3:

She put in her press release and continues to say that this is a race equity issue, not a gun violence issue. Well, we also know in this county that black and brown people are overrepresented on the victim side of gun violence.

01:23:28 - 01:24:17 | Speaker 1:

When you hear stuff like this, and obviously we do need gun laws that are controlling gun laws, But we can't even do those gun laws. How is anything going to be done? I saw yesterday some of the state legislatures, both Republican and Democrat, saying they're going to come up with some kind of another school gun law that will kind of be similar to what they did after Oxford. but if you have people that don't enforce the laws you know what is wrong with taking away a person's uh if they're a criminal taking away their their gun that they have and not allowing them to have a gun and in this case who knows if the guy would have gotten a gun it would have to get it illegally but he got a gun legally because of this well and after the oxford high school

01:24:17 - 01:24:35 | Speaker 5:

shooting they did bring in lansing they did bring simple background checks and red flag laws to the floor and the republicans who controlled the house and senate blocked the votes on that measures now democrats have full control for the first time in decades so they they either have to put up or shut

01:24:35 - 01:25:48 | Speaker 1:

up and and make this happen or this is not as hypocritical and this is the thing because you bring that up then all of a sudden it's finger pointing at at republicans finger pointing then democrats this is a human thing where these who i don't care what party you represent or if you We are not affiliated with a party. When you see children that are getting murdered on campus, we need two things. We need to fix the laws that we have that aren't being enforced right now and then put some new laws in there. And we've got to start putting money back towards mental health. We took away all that money towards mental health, and it's ridiculous. And we experience that in our own lives when we're all trying to get therapy for things that we're dealing with in our mental health or our families, children's mental health. It's stupid that we don't do that. And everybody, you know, looks at these things. And I'm telling you, I just looked at the national news. The national news didn't even have this as their top story still. This is like they moved on to something else now for a top story. This just goes by the wayside. And then they're the first ones to point out the fact that there have been 67 shootings since January. But it's because, all right, what's the next story? Let's move on to the next one. What do we got here?

01:25:48 - 01:26:14 | Speaker 2:

And on a national level, Congress came through together last year to push through the first major gun control legislation in decades. But mental health funding was one of the things that was pulled out of there that the two parties couldn't agree on. So I would say anyone that that is now, you know, tweeting or commenting on mental health issues, you have to look at how they voted on that and hold them accountable. If they're now talking about mental health but did not support the vote on mental health funding last year.

01:26:14 - 01:26:51 | Speaker 1:

And honestly, hold the people accountable that voted not only against it this last time, but hold them accountable if they vote against it this time. That's the biggest thing because I see all too often where people will sit there and will be like, all right, we know that this is a deal. We're going to all say that we're going to try to fight for, you know, to be able to hold them accountable. And then what do we do? We never hold them accountable. November comes along and what ends up happening? Either you don't vote or you go to vote and you don't know who to vote for. So you just vote for a party that you you either think is the party that's right or wrong. And then we end up in the same predicament that we're in right now.

01:26:51 - 01:27:24 | Speaker 2:

So that's the sad thing. I brought up a post I did last May after the Uvalde shooting. And you realize, you know, not much has changed. Every time this comes around, there's a change. People forget. That's why when we had the governor and her opposing candidate on the air, I held them both to the standard of asking that question because shootings were not in the headlines at that time. And I feel like that's something we got to hold them to every time we get a chance with a microphone to say, OK, well, now the focus isn't on that. The thoughts and prayers were four months ago. But what are you going to do this time if we vote you in?

01:27:24 - 01:27:39 | Speaker 1:

The other thing also that bothers me, too, is the people that will say about thoughts and prayers. Listen, prayer is we need more prayer in our lives right now. As far as I'm concerned, we need to pray harder. These families are going to need prayers right now.

01:27:39 - 01:27:50 | Speaker 2:

That's what we can do, but the elected officials can do more than thoughts and prayers, and that's why we have to hold them accountable. I saw one elected official yesterday, actually, his tweet said, F, thoughts and prayers.

01:27:50 - 01:28:08 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, which I will say this to you, I'm going to make sure that that elected official does something to stand up for his gun laws. Because if he doesn't and just writes that as a post to get a lot of likes or dislikes, you know, from comments, then that's exactly what happens with politics. But I'm going to move on after your last comment. Go ahead.

01:28:08 - 01:28:22 | Speaker 3:

I don't think we're addressing the real issue here, which is that these votes are paid for by special interest groups, no matter what side of the aisle it is. So until that stops, it doesn't matter what we think or want to change because their votes are getting bought on both sides.

01:28:22 - 01:28:28 | Speaker 1:

Amen. And you know what? Every politician, I believe, is in the pocket of somebody.

01:28:29 - 01:28:34 | Speaker 3:

There are a handful. Oh, I think most are. I would say there are less than 10 out of the hundreds.

01:28:34 - 01:28:41 | Speaker 1:

I don't buy it. I think that that's what these lobbyist jobs are. That's why the lobbyists are driving nice cars.

01:28:41 - 01:29:04 | Speaker 2:

But these red flag laws last year that they tried to pass could have, we don't know, it would have stopped. It wouldn't have stopped this guy. Well, he has mental health problems on the books. He has prior convictions on the books. That's the kind of thing these red flag laws can stop. It doesn't affect any normal legal gun owner. It only affects people that could be put on a list that are put on a danger to society by the law or by their family.

01:29:04 - 01:29:25 | Speaker 1:

But there was a law on the books in a in a prosecutor who did not want to prosecute the way that they should have prosecuted because they wanted probably to gain votes of people that she thought she was going to gain votes for decides not to charge him. That's the thing. That's a bunch of bullcrap. But all right, let me move on here right now because I'm about to swear again and I don't want Tony. Tony's listening.

01:29:25 - 01:29:28 | Speaker 3:

I don't want another meeting today. I know. I'm busy.

01:29:29 - 01:29:37 | Speaker 1:

Did anybody. Me too. Did any of you guys celebrate Valentine's Day yesterday? No. No? I'm sorry. No. Did anybody, honestly, did anybody celebrate Valentine's Day? I did.

01:29:37 - 01:29:52 | Speaker 2:

I mean, mostly with the kids. Not necessarily so much with Wes, but mostly with the kids. I walked in and her whole house was decorated with red hearts. I was like, oh, crap. Is this? I did that too. I think she, this is a bigger deal to her than I thought it was going to be. Was she doing it for her son, though? Both. Yeah, both.

01:29:53 - 01:29:55 | Speaker 1:

What did you get and what did you give?

01:29:56 - 01:30:07 | Speaker 2:

She gave me a really nice book and some chocolates. And then she was cooking me a steak dinner with the cupcakes that I gorged on way before dessert.

01:30:07 - 01:30:10 | Speaker 4:

Did you tell her that it wasn't steak in a B-Day?

01:30:11 - 01:30:13 | Speaker 2:

That's coming up when? I did not bring that up.

01:30:13 - 01:30:16 | Speaker 4:

That's coming up right now. That's a month after Valentine's Day. Is it a month after Valentine's Day?

01:30:16 - 01:30:17 | Speaker 2:

March 14th.

01:30:17 - 01:30:23 | Speaker 4:

March 14th, yes. So make sure you put that in your calendar, guys. And girls. Put that in your calendar.

01:30:23 - 01:30:35 | Speaker 2:

And let me know how that goes when you suggest it. Especially if you were one of those guys I saw at CVS yesterday at 4 p.m. Buying the $20 last strand of horrible bouquets that were left on Valentine's Day on your way home from work.

01:30:35 - 01:30:41 | Speaker 4:

Do you want to hear the irony of my relationship with my wife? Yes. We both bought the same card for each other.

01:30:41 - 01:30:41 | Speaker 1:

Did you really?

01:30:41 - 01:31:34 | Speaker 4:

I love that. We both actually bought the same exact card yesterday, which was actually pretty amusing. You are soulmates. That's it. Seriously. Or we shop at the same store. That was the easiest. I actually, I said to Chelsea, I go, I go, and actually it was Luke's card that he gave her, but I bought for, I bought two cards for Luke and I, and we chose each other's cards, you know, but, um, but it was funny because I said, I said, yeah, their selection wasn't that good this year. And she looked at me with a funny eye, like their selection wasn't good this year. That's why we both gave each other the same card. Um, all right. So Mojo in the morning show. So yesterday was a day where sometimes people will actually try to do the whole proposal thing. And actually, a lot of people get married on Valentine's Day, which honestly, I think both are kind of interesting when people either get married on Valentine's Day as their day or the proposal. But some people actually put ultimatums to it.

01:31:34 - 01:32:45 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. And I know yesterday was a big day that a lot of women specifically were waiting for a proposal for a ring. I thought this was so cute. I mean, the weather's been so nice. So I've been biking with the kids to the little park in our neighborhood. and I met this new dad who just moved in at the park and we were chit-chatting and his Lucy knows his daughter and so I had mentioned that I had just gotten engaged and he said oh yeah I was just given an ultimatum to propose and so in my head I'm thinking oh man you know his girlfriend really really wants to get married well after talking with him for a little bit longer I realized it was his girlfriend's second grade daughter who was giving him the ultimatum the little girl that he was with at the park she wanted him to be her stepdad so bad that she's been giving him the ultimatum and she wanted him to propose yesterday which he said i'm not doing it on valentine's day but i do i i love hearing about people who make ultimatums does it work out for you or now that's pressure by the way was it the end of your relationship in this situation And that's what he said.

01:32:45 - 01:32:51 | Speaker 4:

That's more pressure than having her give the ultimatum, having her kids say, I want you to be my step-parent.

01:32:51 - 01:32:59 | Speaker 1:

Her only child, her sweet daughter. And apparently she's come up with all of these ideas for him to do it. And he's like, she sees dollar signs.

01:33:00 - 01:33:05 | Speaker 4:

All right. Anyone listening who has ever been given or gave.

01:33:05 - 01:33:05 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:33:06 - 01:33:21 | Speaker 4:

I was going to say, or gived. has ever given or been given an ultimatum for getting married or I'm out. I want to hear from you. I want to hear what your story is all about. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548.

01:33:21 - 01:33:27 | Speaker 1:

Because does that put the pressure on, or does that just give you a bad taste in your mouth if you're given an ultimatum to do it?

01:33:27 - 01:33:35 | Speaker 4:

That's what I wonder, because some people might say, oh, well, that's a doomed relationship, but maybe sometimes some people need a little cattle prodding.

01:33:35 - 01:33:38 | Speaker 2:

A push, yeah. I think it depends on the situation. It could be good or bad.

01:33:38 - 01:33:41 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. We're good in what case?

01:33:42 - 01:33:50 | Speaker 2:

Well, I think it's good when, it's Shannon's story, when you hear that cute little kid putting the ultimatum out because she just loves that guy so much, she wants him to be a stepdaddy. Yeah.

01:33:50 - 01:33:53 | Speaker 4:

And then bad because now you feel pressure the rest of your life? Bad?

01:33:53 - 01:34:01 | Speaker 2:

No. Bad in different situations where you might push the guy away if he's not ready, or maybe you're getting engaged for the wrong reasons.

01:34:02 - 01:34:04 | Speaker 1:

Jesus what? Why'd you say that? Tommy, what happened yesterday?

01:34:06 - 01:34:09 | Speaker 3:

What was that? Sorry, I shouldn't have eaten that cheese danish.

01:34:10 - 01:34:14 | Speaker 4:

That's what she said. Tommy, what happened yesterday?

01:34:16 - 01:34:35 | Speaker 3:

There was a couple. I was at the light in front of LCA, and he was getting down on one knee. I said, I just can't stand for this. So I rolled my window down, and I said, don't do it. You did not. I did. I did. I had to. I'm a philanthropist. I like to help. That's right.

01:34:35 - 01:34:42 | Speaker 4:

You're just doing good in this world. That's exactly. Yeah. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Emmanuel?

01:34:43 - 01:34:45 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, how's it going?

01:34:45 - 01:34:47 | Speaker 4:

How you doing, buddy? You were given the ultimatum?

01:34:48 - 01:34:58 | Speaker 3:

Yes, yes. I was given the ultimatum probably about seven, almost eight years ago to propose. And if did that work out, I should have known that.

01:34:59 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 4:

Ah, the relationship.

01:35:00 - 01:35:13 | Speaker 2:

didn't work out no it did not so did you feel really bad pressure to to come through and do this whole thing and you just weren't ready is that why it didn't work out yeah i i completely

01:35:13 - 01:35:20 | Speaker 3:

wasn't ready i you know kind of had things planned on my own terms but um she became impatient and

01:35:20 - 01:35:28 | Speaker 2:

pretty much gave me an ultimatum oh man that's rough uh how how about you uh becca how you doing And you gave the ultimatum?

01:35:29 - 01:35:38 | Speaker 7:

I did, because our anniversary of eight years will be up on the 20th of this month. Well, he bought me a ring last week, but he still didn't ask me.

01:35:39 - 01:35:41 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. Wait, how do you know he bought you a ring then?

01:35:42 - 01:35:44 | Speaker 7:

Because I went with him. I picked it out.

01:35:44 - 01:35:46 | Speaker 2:

Oh. Oh. So.

01:35:47 - 01:35:48 | Speaker 7:

I have the ring.

01:35:48 - 01:35:49 | Speaker 4:

Don't you want to be surprised?

01:35:50 - 01:36:01 | Speaker 7:

Well, he's not going to ask me. He just bought me the ring. Wait, so you're wearing it? Yeah I wear it I don't wear it on my left hand Because then people ask too many questions

01:36:01 - 01:36:08 | Speaker 4:

Okay wait that was your mistake then If you accepted the ring and started wearing it You gave him an out to not feel pressure to ask him

01:36:08 - 01:36:09 | Speaker 2:

He bought you a

01:36:09 - 01:36:12 | Speaker 4:

A shut up ring That's what it's called

01:36:12 - 01:36:23 | Speaker 2:

Oh my gosh So what are you going to do Is this buying him some time Or do you have like a set time That you're going to call it quits If he doesn't do it

01:36:24 - 01:36:25 | Speaker 7:

I think it bought him some time.

01:36:26 - 01:36:30 | Speaker 2:

She likes the ring too much. Ellen, what's going on?

01:36:32 - 01:36:40 | Speaker 6:

Hi. So I was calling because I gave my husband an ultimatum to either agree to have a baby or I would stop taking my birth control.

01:36:41 - 01:36:42 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

01:36:42 - 01:36:44 | Speaker 2:

By the way, these are healthy relationships. I just want you to know that.

01:36:45 - 01:36:49 | Speaker 6:

What did he pick? Oh, we had a baby. We actually have two now.

01:36:49 - 01:36:51 | Speaker 2:

Because you stopped taking your birth control.

01:36:52 - 01:37:14 | Speaker 6:

I did not, no. So we've been together since 2008. We got married in 2015. Okay. And I told him in 2016 that if he doesn't agree, the beginning of 2017, I would stop taking my birth control. Or no, in 2015, I'm sorry. And then on Christmas of 2015, he gave me a T-shirt that said, let's have a baby on it.

01:37:15 - 01:37:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh. But you guys are not married.

01:37:18 - 01:37:23 | Speaker 6:

We are. Yeah, we got married in 2015. You finally got married. Okay. So 2017, we have the first child. Okay.

01:37:23 - 01:37:29 | Speaker 2:

interesting he's like i'd rather just get pregnant let's just do that um sarah you gave

01:37:29 - 01:38:31 | Speaker 8:

the ultimatum and the relationship didn't work out yeah so i we were together seven years we had two kids we were uh we were pregnant with our third child and i i said it's you either need to do this or we need to separate because this is not negotiable for my life um and then he actually he did propose um we ended up splitting when i was five months pregnant four months before we were supposed to be married we'd already put on put down a lot of deposits because nothing felt genuine um it just everything felt forced like it was just something that he had to do it didn't feel like i was so we split um and it's actually for the best i am recently newly married So it did work out for me. The right person was waiting there all the time. I just wasn't with them. So I feel like if you have to get to the point where you do the ultimatum, nothing from that point is genuine.

01:38:31 - 01:38:33 | Speaker 2:

The right person, was he around at the time that you were with this guy?

01:38:35 - 01:38:35 | Speaker 8:

No.

01:38:35 - 01:38:39 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. All right, so no ultimatums. Bad thing.

01:38:40 - 01:38:40 | Unknown:

Right.

01:38:41 - 01:38:41 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:38:41 - 01:38:41 | Speaker 2:

All right.

01:38:43 - 01:38:51 | Speaker 5:

The problem is it's not going to feel genuine. Even if he does propose, then you feel like, does he really want to propose? It's a pity proposal. I need him to do it.

01:38:51 - 01:39:17 | Speaker 2:

but this segment was brought to you by lucido fine jewelry mojo in the morning show yesterday was a really bad day for kp our producer she uh sent me a text last night uh or yesterday evening right before we were sitting down to eat some dinner and i felt so bad for you and i can't believe that you waited until the second time but tell everybody what happened to you yesterday well

01:39:17 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 1:

this happened over a course of like three hours very suddenly so and i i feel like the world is kind of laughing at me right now because a couple weeks ago i literally saw this poor girl her car broke down right at the front of the starbucks drive-thru like she had just gotten her drink she was right at the exit blocking everybody and there's a tow truck and then yesterday i was on my way back to the radio station after i had a client visit i was like oh i need a starbucks went to that our our favorite starbucks and literally my car shut off at the window like it just stopped working and my car is not like a like a lemon like my

01:40:00 - 01:40:49 | Speaker 3:

car is like like a few years old yeah 2019 jeep compass oh my god that i just got four new tires on and um had a couple repairs to with the stop start feature and it wasn't to this extent though but my car shut off in the drive-thru the dude behind me um honked and then i'm like hey i'm stuck actually i'm not like on my phone or anything yeah he's hanging he wants his coffee But shout out to the Starbucks Because they still brought us our coffee Even though I was shut down In the drive-thru They came around outside That is service And I think they gave the dude who helped me Like a handful of gift cards What did he do? I really don't know what he did And it was kind of scary Because he was pulling a bunch of wires and stuff Out the front of my car So I don't know what was going on Is this the guy that was honking or a different guy? The guy that was honking

01:40:49 - 01:40:54 | Speaker 2:

So the guy wasn't a jerk about it He actually said Got out of his car That's amazing

01:40:54 - 01:41:05 | Speaker 3:

I got out and get it going again just to get it out of the drive-thru. And it was so funny because as soon as my car started working again, the manager was like, go, go, go, go. So I could get out of there.

01:41:05 - 01:41:10 | Speaker 2:

By the way, this wasn't the only time that this happened. So then tell everybody what happened after that.

01:41:10 - 01:41:54 | Speaker 3:

This is the first incident. And this tells you how much I love my job because the only thing I was thinking of was I have to go back to the station to finish my show. I have to go back because I'm on from midnight to 5 a.m. So I was like, I have to get back to the station to finish work. so i i got to the station did my show and then i go to leave and i'm like okay i i hope i can make it home i don't know what's wrong with my car maybe i accidentally hit the emergency brake which is why my car stopped and it kind of froze which is still weird so i'm gonna have to take it in but i hope i can get home i broke down again right at the intersection of 12 mile and halsted right in front of our radio station oh that's the worst during rush hour and waited for a tow truck

01:41:54 - 01:41:59 | Speaker 2:

for two hours were people uh not very patient with you sitting there everyone like not everyone

01:41:59 - 01:42:23 | Speaker 3:

but there are just a couple people where they're sitting behind you honking i'm sorry if you are too that close to my car that you cannot see the emergency flashers you are too close to my car right now so awkward yeah so that's what happened to me and this is my uh public service announcement But to anyone who wants to give me an endorsement for a new car, because we all know a good dealership.

01:42:23 - 01:42:28 | Speaker 2:

Wait a second. So hold on. 2019. What is it again? A compass?

01:42:28 - 01:42:28 | Speaker 3:

It's a compass.

01:42:29 - 01:42:34 | Speaker 2:

How could a compass that's 2019 with low miles on the thing be already breaking?

01:42:34 - 01:42:46 | Speaker 3:

I looked it up. I looked it up. There's apparently an issue with the stop start where you either your car shuts down while in movement. So there have been reports of like 65 miles per hour. Oh, my God. The car shuts down and the car freaks.

01:42:46 - 01:42:47 | Speaker 2:

There's no recall on that that you can bring in?

01:42:47 - 01:42:52 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so a lot of people are saying the same thing on text. I've had a couple people tell me, too.

01:42:52 - 01:42:59 | Speaker 2:

Question for you. What's worse? Is it worse to break down in a Starbucks drive-thru or in the middle of an intersection?

01:43:00 - 01:43:11 | Speaker 3:

Starbucks. Starbucks. I know. I was going to say Starbucks, too. People want their coffee. Yeah. And more people honk through the Starbucks drive-thru than they did on Halstead or 12-mile road.

01:43:11 - 01:43:12 | Speaker 2:

Is it Janessa?

01:43:14 - 01:43:14 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

01:43:14 - 01:43:17 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Janessa. What's up? You wanted to talk to our producer, KP?

01:43:18 - 01:43:34 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, KP. Okay, so I had a lease, a 2020 Compass, and I had nothing but issues. The trans slipped. It shut off randomly. I had, like, this clunking in my axle. Get rid of it. Get yourself a big-ass ram like I just got.

01:43:34 - 01:43:48 | Speaker 3:

You know what? I have been thinking about getting a new car. I'm like, wow, I just have this weird gut feeling that my car is about to go to bed. I don't know. Never wake up. Like, I just, something's been telling me, and this is just my confirmation.

01:43:48 - 01:43:54 | Speaker 2:

So when you bring it to a dealership, what does a dealership say about that? I can't imagine that they would just let you, leave you hanging.

01:43:54 - 01:44:12 | Speaker 3:

Well, you know, after the tow truck took my car away, which, by the way, I had to tip him like I was at a coffee shop. He gave me a tablet to tip the tow truck driver. Oh, my gosh, really? Which was another so interesting thing, because apparently my insurance didn't have any available tow trucks in the area that I could be covered through my plan, so I had to pay out of pocket.

01:44:13 - 01:44:13 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

01:44:14 - 01:44:24 | Speaker 3:

on the hot mess express let's just say that um but yeah so they once they took it away it's at the dealer right now i have to call them and say hey that's my car here's what we're gonna do we're

01:44:24 - 01:44:41 | Speaker 2:

gonna throw it out there and this could be to uh anybody from any of our our great uh dealerships that advertise with us uh summit place kia mike what's your kia dealer called uh grand rapids Kia of Grand Rapids North, Gordon Chevrolet.

01:44:41 - 01:44:43 | Speaker 1:

Moran, UIC, GMC.

01:44:43 - 01:44:43 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:44:44 - 01:44:45 | Speaker 1:

Zot Ford.

01:44:45 - 01:44:50 | Speaker 2:

Zot Ford, Steve Gabbara. Don't be careful with Steve, though. You'll go on a date with him.

01:44:51 - 01:44:55 | Speaker 3:

Hey, hey, that's my man. He won't have a tip in the iPad. I wouldn't dare, Megan. I wouldn't dare.

01:44:55 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 2:

Or anybody listening. Anybody listening. Whoever. You know what? Let's help KP out here.

01:45:00 - 01:45:11 | Speaker 7:

Why can't we catch a break? Like, I feel like as soon as I pay one bill, I've got five more that just like come. I just bought four new tires. Your basement flooded last week, right? Yeah.

01:45:11 - 01:45:26 | Speaker 8:

Can I tell you what my dad told me after my basement flooded? And I genuinely was so glad we were on the phone and not in person. I think he does, too. And he's listening right now. And yes, I am about to call you out. Don't change the station. He just told me if I thought more positive, these things probably will happen.

01:45:27 - 01:45:28 | Speaker 6:

That's a dad thing.

01:45:28 - 01:45:33 | Speaker 8:

I started crying very hard, and my dad was like, I think I just made it worse.

01:45:33 - 01:45:46 | Speaker 7:

And I was like, no! That is hilarious, because in my topics that I said last night, I said the first thing on my topics was, nothing can make my week terrible. I'm trying so hard to be positive. That is what I put on my topic sheet.

01:45:46 - 01:45:48 | Speaker 1:

Jason, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning.

01:45:49 - 01:46:05 | Speaker 2:

Hey. KP, if the same incident happens three times, I believe it has to be a major incident. And this qualifies as a major incident because it deals with your powertrain and your engine. You can lemon-wall it.

01:46:05 - 01:46:14 | Speaker 1:

But I don't think you can. Real quick, I don't think you can if it's three times in, like, one day. I think you have to get it fixed, and then if the fixing part doesn't work, if that happens.

01:46:15 - 01:46:17 | Speaker 7:

I got the stop-start fixed a couple months ago. Really?

01:46:18 - 01:46:19 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. Keep checking.

01:46:19 - 01:46:25 | Speaker 2:

And it's under the recall, so it should qualify as a lemon-law, and you can lemon-wall the car.

01:46:25 - 01:46:27 | Speaker 7:

Is it on a recall, though?

01:46:28 - 01:46:31 | Speaker 2:

I thought I heard you say it was on a recall.

01:46:31 - 01:46:32 | Speaker 7:

I don't think it is.

01:46:32 - 01:46:39 | Speaker 1:

That's amazing that it's not. I can't imagine if all these people are texting us about this same car, this Jeep Compass, why would that not be?

01:46:39 - 01:46:51 | Speaker 8:

Because, remember, they won't recall something unless it's financially beneficial for them to do so. So they can know there's an issue, but if it's easier for them to just pay off, like, a few people instead of recalling it, that's what they'll do.

01:46:51 - 01:46:55 | Speaker 7:

Well, here's the thing. Am I going to have to fix the entire car before I get rid of it?

01:46:55 - 01:47:03 | Speaker 1:

Honestly, I would definitely make that dealer do some phone calls. You're putting a little pressure talking about it on the radio right now.

01:47:03 - 01:47:06 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I am. What's going on? I'm in Chrysler, if you're listening right now.

01:47:06 - 01:47:08 | Speaker 1:

So that's who they towed it to?

01:47:09 - 01:47:11 | Speaker 7:

No, that's not where it went, but that's where I got the car.

01:47:11 - 01:47:16 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. Well, we'll see what they can do. They're upstanding people. They'll help you out. I think so. What's going on, Jamie?

01:47:18 - 01:47:38 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Yes. KP, did you say yours was a 2018 or 2019? It was 19. Okay. Well, my daughter has a 2018, and when we went to the dealership, the guy was really nice, and he explained to us that it is something about making the oil, I can't remember, but too much oil goes in too quickly or something.

01:47:38 - 01:47:40 | Speaker 6:

What do you do for it? That's what I read in the article.

01:47:41 - 01:48:09 | Speaker 4:

Well, does your car, like, ever, do you check the oil often? Do you notice that it is low every now and again? She has got an oil change. Yeah, so with our daughter, what fixed the problem, knock on wood so far, is it was actually, we took it in, and it is some kind of recall with the computer system. You can actually, they can reset it there, and it literally took them like eight minutes, and all it does is kind of tell the engine how much oil to put in.

01:48:09 - 01:48:13 | Speaker 1:

This is all too technical. We're making sausage right now.

01:48:13 - 01:48:15 | Speaker 5:

Jamie, what does she do about the Starbucks?

01:48:15 - 01:48:16 | Speaker 6:

What does she do about that?

01:48:16 - 01:48:22 | Speaker 1:

This is just awful There's nothing worse than being stuck in the middle of an intersection Right, Veronica?

01:48:23 - 01:48:48 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so I actually Had problems with my car And they brought it into the dealership And got it fixed in a day But what they didn't notice is that My coolant was leaking into my oil And I was driving to school Running on coolant And my engine blew Five minutes away from my school And this is a brand new 2022 Chevy Blazer.

01:48:48 - 01:48:51 | Speaker 1:

And were you in the middle of an intersection when it blew?

01:48:51 - 01:48:56 | Speaker 3:

I was in the middle of an intersection, and my car is just, like, shaking and rumbling.

01:48:56 - 01:49:00 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that's so scary. Oh, my gosh. And I'm sure people were honking instead of being friendly.

01:49:00 - 01:49:11 | Speaker 7:

Let me just say, there's something special about intersections and me, because this is the second time in the course of four weeks that I've broken down at an intersection. Remember my gas, me running out of gas? That was a self-inflicted problem.

01:49:11 - 01:49:25 | Speaker 1:

This is, by the way, the worst thing. Honestly, I have fears of that happening Of breaking down in the middle of a road And not that somebody's going to hit me Just that somebody's going to be behind me And I have to look embarrassed As they honk at you

01:49:25 - 01:49:28 | Speaker 5:

We know who's not driving To the next morning show

Mojo in the Morning Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30

01:49:51 - 01:49:55 | Speaker 1:

Alright, Shannon, the latest on what's trending this morning What you got to start off?

01:49:55 - 01:50:55 | Speaker 2:

The three students of Michigan State University Who were fatally shot on Monday night during that rampage that police attributed to a Lansing man who then took his own life, we are now learning all about them. The Clausen community is remembering 2020 Clausen High School graduate Alexandria Werner this morning. She was an all-state athlete. She played basketball, softball, volleyball. She was a leader. She exemplified kindness every day of her life. So many stories coming out about just how good of a heart she had. Brian Fraser graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School in 2021. He played lacrosse. He was on the swimming and diving team. He played baseball. He was the president of MSU's Phi Delta Theta fraternity. His family said he was the absolute light of their lives. And MSU sophomore, Ariel Anderson of Harper Woods. She had aspirations to become a pediatrician, loved being with friends, studying, cooking, and watching movies.

01:50:55 - 01:51:09 | Speaker 6:

I haven't grasped it yet. She was just with me the weekend. Says her grandmother. So I thank God that he gave me some time to spend with her. She was beautiful.

01:51:09 - 01:51:17 | Speaker 4:

She's the grandmother of 19-year-old Arielle Diamond Anderson, loved ones never imagining that there would be a mass shooting at Michigan State University.

01:51:17 - 01:51:29 | Speaker 6:

50,000 or 60,000 people, you never could imagine, it could be that 1% chance, but we never imagined that.

01:51:29 - 01:51:34 | Speaker 4:

Ariel loved children and wanted to be a pediatrician. She was a sophomore at Michigan State.

01:51:34 - 01:51:45 | Speaker 5:

They say he had no affiliation with the school. He never went there. He didn't work there. Just a troubled, a troubled person. Great loss for a lot of us.

01:51:45 - 01:52:41 | Speaker 2:

If he was going to kill himself, he should have just did that without killing the others. Five other students remain in critical condition over at Sparrow this morning. Please continue to search for a motive here. In Other Dirty today, Pharrell Williams has been named the new creative director of menswear for Louis Vuitton. The brand calling him a global icon and visionary. He succeeds a position that was previously held by the late Virgil Abloh, who, if you remember, died in 2021 from cancer. But Pharrell's first collection with Louis will be revealed in Dune during Men's Fashion Week in Paris. The Witch Trials of J.K. Rowling is a podcast that's set to premiere next week, I believe. And the author in the very first podcast is going to address her controversial statements regarding the transgender community. And I do have a little teaser clip of that.

01:52:41 - 01:53:02 | Speaker 3:

I never set out to upset anyone. However, I was not uncomfortable with getting off my pedestal. And what has interested me over the last 10 years, and certainly in the last few years, the last two, three years, particularly on social media, you've ruined your legacy. Oh, you could have been beloved forever, but you chose to say this. And I think you could not have misunderstood me more profoundly.

01:53:03 - 01:53:36 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, Tom Holland will be reprising his Spider-Man role with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige said that they're already working on his comeback. They've got the storyline. They've got lots of ideas. But he said the writers are just putting pen to paper now. So we've got to be patient. And he wouldn't dish on what the future holds for Spidey. And if this means a new solo film or an appearance in one of the Avengers films. Just that Tom Holland will be back. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on NoJoneTheMorning.com.

Oh, yeah, daddy.

01:56:25 - 01:56:31 | Speaker 5:

To put between her legs? Yes. Absolutely. Oh, my gosh. That is funny.

01:56:31 - 01:56:35 | Speaker 1:

So it's a pregnancy pillow with your face on it.

01:56:35 - 01:56:36 | Speaker 6:

And I'm, like, pointing.

01:56:38 - 01:56:49 | Speaker 1:

Can we display it, KP? Can we make sure that everybody sees this? We'll throw it up on our social media so everybody gets an opportunity to see this. I almost want one of these. A cuddle with our mic.

01:56:49 - 01:57:09 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, yeah. It's actually very creative I do give you points for that I don't know how to take the Valentine's gifts too serious Was that the only thing you got? Depends on what your next response is I got her flowers too

Alright so What did you get for Valentine's Day And we'll upgrade your gift Of what you got Jackie are you there?

01:57:17 - 01:57:18 | Speaker 4:

I sure am

01:57:18 - 01:57:22 | Speaker 1:

Hi, what did your dad buy for your mom for Valentine's Day?

01:57:23 - 01:57:33 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, guys. My dad one year, he has, we were, my sister and I were teenagers, so we had three PMSing women in the house, and he came home on Valentine's Day with a whole case of my doll.

01:57:34 - 01:57:39 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no. Oh, man. That's great. Put him out to the curb.

01:57:39 - 01:57:42 | Speaker 4:

He was in the doghouse that year. Yes, he did.

01:57:42 - 01:57:48 | Speaker 1:

You gave us a good laugh, so we're going to give you a gift card to our friends over at Muse Med Spa. Congratulations to you.

01:57:48 - 01:57:51 | Speaker 4:

Oh, thank you so much, guys. Have a great day.

01:57:51 - 01:57:53 | Speaker 1:

Have a great day. Hold on one second. Ashley?

01:57:55 - 01:57:55 | Speaker 3:

Yes?

01:57:55 - 01:57:58 | Speaker 1:

How you doing, Ashley? You get nothing for Valentine's Day?

01:57:59 - 01:58:02 | Speaker 3:

I got nothing, and it was my birthday. What?

01:58:02 - 01:58:06 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. So nothing for your birthday either? Maybe there's a technicality.

01:58:07 - 01:58:09 | Speaker 5:

What was his excuse or her excuse?

01:58:10 - 01:58:18 | Speaker 3:

Well, he forgot it was my birthday, and he told me happy Valentine's Day during the morning, but I got nothing. There is no excuse.

01:58:18 - 01:58:23 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. We're going to give you also a gift card, too. Congratulations, Tia.

01:58:24 - 01:58:26 | Speaker 5:

Thank you. Congratulations on that loser.

01:58:26 - 01:58:26 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:58:28 - 01:59:01 | Speaker 1:

Thank you to Muse MedSpot. By the way, congratulations to Sterling Schluister. She was the winner of our social media contest that we had, too. So thank you to her and so many for entering that. All right. It is Mojo on the Morning Show. We were talking about proposals. Now let's talk about breakups, especially a public breakup. Has anybody ever had a public breakup, like where you broke up and everybody got a chance to witness this thing? And Megan's is interesting. Megan, what did you see?

01:59:01 - 01:59:18 | Speaker 2:

So I saw this on a live stream, but this girl was sitting in her car live streaming her breakup. And I was here for the level of pettiness. Let me tell you, it was better. I know the Oscars are coming up in a couple of weeks. I wanted to make a bag of popcorn because it was better than watching an Oscar movie.

01:59:18 - 01:59:22 | Speaker 5:

Question, was she the one breaking up or was she the one being broken up with?

01:59:22 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 2:

No, she was the one doing the breaking up. He was the one trying to keep her and it was sloppy and I was living. What did he do that caused for her to want to break up with him? Was it scandalous? It didn't really dive into it, but this is the pettiness I literally strive to have in my life because they were breaking up in a parking lot and she wouldn't even roll her window down fully for it. It was so good. It was only cracked like two or three inches and he kept trying to put his hand in the car to have her kiss his hand goodbye and she was like, no, I'm not gonna do that. And he's like, you're not gonna leave until you kiss my hand goodbye.

02:00:00 - 02:00:15 | Speaker 4:

I was like, no, I don't know who you think I am, but that's not going to be happening. And I was like, get it, girl, get it, girl. And at some point, there was like 7,500 people watching this girl's breakup. And I was like, what a theatrical masterpiece. Thank you so much. So, so much.

02:00:15 - 02:00:32 | Speaker 8:

You got to love when people will turn towards social media and some sorts to do their breakup. Because when they do it, everybody else gets to see it. and then it gets to show up if you do it on maybe Facebook in your yearly rounds of remembering that day.

02:00:32 - 02:00:34 | Speaker 3:

Oh, God. I couldn't even think about that.

02:00:34 - 02:00:36 | Speaker 8:

Where it comes back up over and over again.

02:00:36 - 02:00:45 | Speaker 3:

I'm not usually in favor of embarrassing people publicly on social media. It happens all too often, unless he did something really stupid and deserves it.

02:00:46 - 02:00:49 | Speaker 4:

Well, let's just say he probably did.

02:00:50 - 02:00:51 | Speaker 3:

It's safe to assume.

02:00:51 - 02:01:09 | Speaker 8:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Anybody ever have a public breakup like that? Or like breakup, maybe the guy or the girl was a coward about it and just said, I'm afraid of what you're going to do. So you go out somewhere to do it in a public place.

02:01:09 - 02:01:15 | Speaker 1:

I was going to say, I'm sure waiters and waitresses have seen it all and have some great stories to share.

02:01:15 - 02:01:34 | Speaker 8:

Oh, yeah. They're loving that. They're loving the fact that now – and, you know, the problem with it is, too, is the person might walk out on the bill, you know, because they're so worried about what's going on. So I bet you the waiters and waitresses are like, where the hell did my table just go?

02:01:34 - 02:01:38 | Speaker 4:

Have you guys ever had a public breakup? Because I broke up with a guy at a Panera once.

02:01:39 - 02:01:39 | Speaker 8:

Did you?

02:01:39 - 02:01:44 | Speaker 4:

I specifically chose Panera because I don't go there often, so I knew it wouldn't ruin the place for me.

02:01:44 - 02:01:52 | Speaker 3:

Was the reason you didn't want to Also you didn't want a big drama You just wanted to break up and move on You didn't want him to try and

02:01:52 - 02:02:00 | Speaker 4:

Yeah but here's where I get petty My best friend was sitting in the car waiting for me I was like I got places to be We gotta make this fast

02:02:00 - 02:02:27 | Speaker 8:

Chelsea and I when we first got together I tried to call it off Because I thought oh man this is going too fast And I ended up breaking up In a Mexican restaurant in Tucson And then proceeded to ask her what she was going to order to eat as she was like getting emotional. I didn't know what to do. It was like the worst thing ever. And by the way, I'm going to suggest this to you. Don't ever do that. Don't ever do it in a public place before you order your meal.

02:02:28 - 02:02:29 | Speaker 2:

I wouldn't eat first.

02:02:29 - 02:02:31 | Speaker 8:

Until you order. How long when the food comes, how long

02:02:31 - 02:02:33 | Speaker 2:

do you have to wait before you can start eating?

02:02:33 - 02:02:39 | Speaker 8:

We ended up having to get up. We ate the chips and the salsa and I ended up paying for the drinks and then we left. It was awful. Do you remember the story I told

02:04:06 - 02:04:08 | Speaker 7:

Hi, how are you?

02:04:08 - 02:04:10 | Speaker 8:

Good, where was your public breakup?

02:04:11 - 02:04:17 | Speaker 7:

So, um My boyfriend at the time took me out to eat for breakfast and broke up with me in the parking lot before we went in to go eat.

02:04:17 - 02:04:18 | Speaker 8:

Oh, that's awful.

02:04:18 - 02:04:22 | Speaker 3:

See, I don't understand doing it before. Yeah, why? And then like, oh, let's go eat now.

02:04:24 - 02:04:25 | Speaker 8:

Did you guys go eat?

02:04:26 - 02:04:27 | Speaker 5:

Before the end? No.

02:04:28 - 02:04:37 | Speaker 8:

Your phone cut out. I thought we lost you there for a second. You got a bad phone right now. Break up with whoever that phone carrier is. What's up, Julie?

02:04:38 - 02:04:38 | Speaker 6:

Hello.

02:04:39 - 02:04:39 | Speaker 8:

Hi.

02:04:39 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 6:

so i um me and my boyfriend at the time we went to a chinese restaurant and i'm trying to break up with him i don't know why i decided to do it there public place i guess i felt more comfortable and then he pulled out a ring oh no no what did you do yeah

02:05:00 - 02:05:27 | Speaker 2:

I still broke up with him. I mean, we ended up getting back together later on, but I still broke up with him. Everyone in the Chinese restaurant is staring at us, looking at us funny, because he's on his knee, and I'm just shaking my head no. It was so embarrassing. Oh, my God. So you got back together. Did you end up getting engaged? We did. Did he use the same ring? You know what? I made him use that one. You did like it. I like that.

02:05:27 - 02:05:38 | Speaker 1:

Now, what's better than a public breakup? A public breakup where, Charlie? At Walmart. Oh, man.

02:05:38 - 02:05:58 | Speaker 2:

Was it you or were you watching? I was watching. And the thing that was killing me was the girl was wearing her eye makeup. She had a very heavy wing and very dark mascara. And she was bawling, crying. And it wasn't running at all. And I was like, would I be a jerk if I walked up to her and asked her what she was doing?

02:05:59 - 02:05:59 | Unknown:

No.

02:06:00 - 02:06:03 | Speaker 6:

That's your secret. That's fantastic.

02:06:06 - 02:06:38 | Speaker 1:

Mojo on the morning show. We are going to do five lies to tell your mom here in a second. It's where we call up your mom. We give you the lies to say. There are five of them. If you get through them, your mom wins prize. If you would like to do this and you'd like to be on our show doing it next week, text MOM to 95500. That's MOM, M-O-M, to 95500 so that you could be on Five Lies to Tell Your Mom. Now, that's not the word to win $1,000. I'll give that to you right after we do this.

02:06:38 - 02:06:40 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the morning.

02:06:41 - 02:06:42 | Unknown:

Sweet.

02:06:43 - 02:06:53 | Speaker 1:

Five Lies to Tell Your Mom. Hey, Michelle? Yeah? We're going to call your mom up for five lies to tell your mom and see what she thinks when you tell her. You ready for this? Lie number one.

02:06:54 - 02:06:54 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:06:54 - 02:07:01 | Speaker 1:

You're going to say, Mom, I got behind on my car payments. She's going to be pissed. Lie number two.

02:07:02 - 02:07:08 | Speaker 2:

Say, there's a tow truck here to take the car. She is definitely going to be mad.

02:07:09 - 02:07:12 | Speaker 1:

Lie number three. I jumped into the car to stop him.

02:07:13 - 02:07:13 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:07:13 - 02:07:15 | Speaker 1:

Lie number four.

02:07:15 - 02:07:20 | Speaker 3:

He called the cops. That's going to be what breaks her for sure.

02:07:20 - 02:07:27 | Speaker 1:

And line number five, no, this is going to be what's going to break her. I need to borrow $1,000 to get my car back.

02:07:28 - 02:07:30 | Speaker 3:

Okay, yeah, that's the worst one.

02:07:30 - 02:07:38 | Speaker 1:

All right, we're going to call up and we're going to see what happens here, okay? Okay. I want you to hang on the phone for one second.

02:07:39 - 02:07:39 | Speaker 6:

All right.

02:07:46 - 02:08:18 | Speaker 3:

hello mom yeah i have a dilemma going on what um well i fell behind on a few on some bills on a few car note and there is a tow truck here hitched up to my new truck getting ready

02:08:18 - 02:08:27 | Speaker 5:

to repo it how late are you a few months no no nothing they just they're there to

02:08:27 - 02:09:04 | Speaker 3:

take it they're here to take it and not only that I jumped in the car to stop them. I'm sitting in it right now. They called the cops on me. For what? Why did they call the freaking cops? Because they're trying to take the truck and I won't let them. Oh. Well, don't let them. How many payments did you miss? Well, that's the thing. I need to borrow like a thousand Well, still, even if I did loan you the money, Michelle, you don't give it to them.

02:09:04 - 02:09:11 | Speaker 5:

I've never heard of having to give anybody no freaking money to come take your vehicle away. Let them f***ing have it.

02:09:12 - 02:09:23 | Speaker 3:

Well, I pretty much am sitting in here. The guy's here. He's hitched up to my car, and I'm screwed pretty much unless you loan me some money right now.

02:09:25 - 02:09:32 | Speaker 4:

Well, I'll loan you the money, but I'll tell you what. You better find some way in now to get it back, because I can't keep throwing money out.

02:09:33 - 02:10:32 | Speaker 3:

Well, I understand that, but what am I going to do? I'm sitting in my truck right now. And the only reason why I'm doing this is because you had the baby. Otherwise, Michelle, I tell you, screw you. Make your payment. Well, obviously, Mom, I need you to help me. Why didn't you tell me before you ride? I would have helped you with the payment, so it didn't go this far. Well, I didn't think that it would. I didn't think they would show up. What do you think, you just drive around for free? some of the other people around here no that's not how it is i just didn't think that it would come to this i'll help you but i'll tell you what you better find some way to get my money back because i don't have money to loan people all the time i know are they going to leave the truck if they're not leaving the truck i ain't giving a dime well they're here right now i'm with the The tow guy. I'm, like, sitting in the car, and he called the cops because I was... They can't shove that truck up their a** if they're going to take it.

02:10:34 - 02:10:53 | Speaker 4:

Well... Hello? Hello, who is that? This is Bob from Bob's Tow Trucking Service. We tow them all, big or small. Yeah, I bet you do. And we're going to take the car unless we are able to get $1,000, and your daughter says that she doesn't have the grand, but you might.

02:10:53 - 02:11:13 | Speaker 3:

i'll loan her a thousand dollars but you're not taking the vehicle are you well i gotta take the car she hasn't paid any of the money well i'll give the thousand dollars but you're not taking the vehicle i'll tell you that if i give you a thousand dollars she's got to pay her car payment what am i going to do about that no kidding that's what i just told her i'm gonna kick her

02:11:13 - 02:11:23 | Speaker 4:

02:11:25 - 02:11:27 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I got a few words for you.

02:11:27 - 02:11:29 | Speaker 4:

What do you got? Bring it on me.

02:11:31 - 02:11:32 | Speaker 3:

All right, a**hole.

02:11:33 - 02:11:35 | Speaker 4:

You hurt my feelings.

02:11:36 - 02:11:39 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Do you have any at this point?

02:11:40 - 02:11:42 | Speaker 4:

That's really not nice what you're doing.

02:11:42 - 02:11:44 | Speaker 3:

It's not nice what you're doing.

02:11:44 - 02:11:46 | Speaker 4:

All I'm doing is my job.

02:11:46 - 02:11:48 | Speaker 3:

And then you're going to call me f**king Betty?

02:11:49 - 02:11:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but you just called me an a**hole.

02:11:51 - 02:11:55 | Speaker 3:

You are an a** the way you talk. How old are you?

02:11:55 - 02:11:55 | Speaker 4:

Why?

02:11:57 - 02:12:00 | Speaker 3:

There you go. What, about five years old? Why?

02:12:02 - 02:12:02 | Speaker 4:

Because.

02:12:06 - 02:12:08 | Speaker 3:

What is the name of your tow truck company?

02:12:09 - 02:12:20 | Speaker 4:

Bob's Tow Trucking Service. We tow them all, big or small. I'm sure you're on the small list. Wait a second. I think you're talking about my a** size.

02:12:21 - 02:12:27 | Speaker 3:

I think so, too. Look, do you need the $1,000?

02:12:27 - 02:12:29 | Speaker 4:

I do. I need the $1,000.

02:12:29 - 02:12:31 | Speaker 3:

Is that what you're calling for? Are you calling to harass me, too?

02:12:32 - 02:12:39 | Speaker 4:

No, I need the $1,000, and I also need to tell you that you are on the Mojo in the Morning Show for five lies to tell your mom.

02:12:40 - 02:12:56 | Speaker 3:

Who the hell is Mojo? Mom. Oh, my God, you're a winner. Mom, you're on the radio. What? Oh, s***. Thanks a lot, Bob.

02:12:58 - 02:13:02 | Speaker 4:

And by the way, Mom, you're 100% right. I do have a small b***h.

02:13:02 - 02:13:09 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Jesus. I love you, Mom. I'm sorry. Okay, I'm going to kick your ass.

02:13:10 - 02:13:11 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the Morning.

02:13:13 - 02:13:14 | Speaker 3:

Sweet.

02:13:15 - 02:13:26 | Speaker 2:

Five lies to tell your mama. Sorry you got caught cheating by not deleting those texts you meant to believe. Another world-famous War of the Roses happens tomorrow morning at 7 and 9. On Mojo in the Morning.

02:13:31 - 02:14:31 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning. We have an update coming up in Shannon's Dirty on the 30 on everything going on in East Lansing. And then before the end of the show in trending news, an update on some of the pressure that has been just recently put on the media to start covering what's going on in East Palestine, Ohio, with that train derailment and some of the crazy stuff that nobody was telling you about. You're going to hear all about that and more coming up here on Mojo in the Morning. Hold on, I got something in my throat. I just had a banana. Thank you for that. Just wanted to let you know. It was delicious. All right. Mojo on the Morning Show, your home of the phone scams, the War of the Roses, and the Dirty on the 30. You know what I like, by the way, that you decided that you were going to post? Because the other day you said you weren't going to post it. The picture that Wes took of you sleeping.

02:14:32 - 02:14:33 | Speaker 1:

Oh, and video, too.

02:14:33 - 02:14:36 | Speaker 4:

And it's actually turned into a little game that you're playing right now.

02:14:37 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 1:

Well, I am an ugly sleeper. There is no question about that. I sleep with my mouth hanging wide open. Usually my tongue's kind of out as well. It's just, it's really not pretty. And he loves taking photos of me. All my friends do too, for that matter. They love taking photos of me sleeping. And Wes also now likes to scare me when I'm sleeping and post videos of that. So I wasn't going to post it. And then I'm like, you know what? I'm going to post it.

02:15:00 - 02:15:17 | Speaker 6:

because I have no shame, and encourage other people to submit their photos if they are ugly sleepers as well. And I use the hashtag UglySleepersUnite. I got so many. I only posted a few, but some of them are so good. I'm glad I'm not the only one, by the way.

02:15:17 - 02:16:02 | Speaker 7:

Well, let me just say, watch your back, sister. Watch your back. I don't know if you guys saw her Instagram yesterday. she posted a picture of me falling asleep without my consent i did not hear though no at home it was one that was entered for you at home in my pajamas in a very embarrassing and horrible look very unflattering it was really unflattering yeah hang on i'll send it i didn't post it and i didn't share it but shannon had no problem say this is a woman over here Who I will Even on her birthday I had her pose and retake a photo Because I knew she wouldn't like the one That they took

02:16:02 - 02:16:06 | Speaker 3:

She's so specific And I'm always

02:16:06 - 02:16:19 | Speaker 7:

I'm always helpful in trying to make her look good How does she repay me For trying to help her look good I don't know what I did to Shannon But she decided to share an unflattering Photo of me

02:16:19 - 02:16:28 | Speaker 6:

Who supplied me with that photo Your beautiful girlfriend Meg yeah I got to the bottom of it last night your fingers are still on the trackpad too

02:16:28 - 02:17:02 | Speaker 7:

what were you searching yeah I was doing work for our show working hard trying to stay awake on my laptop and I fell asleep after a long day and without my knowledge the photo was taken giggly girls all sharing it between the two of them and apparently my girlfriend sent it to her so now she's in the doghouse too she doesn't know when she goes to her office today I'm changing the lock code on my front door she can come pick up her stuff this weekend but shannon of all people how will you get her back you're not oh just wait it's you can post away when she least

02:17:02 - 02:17:08 | Speaker 6:

remember when mojo posted a photo of me uh and my milk was leaking and he still wouldn't take it

02:17:08 - 02:17:14 | Speaker 7:

yeah yeah so what do you do so did you get him back no you post to me your friend i thought we

02:17:14 - 02:17:34 | Speaker 4:

were friends so i i can i ask a couple quick questions about this about posting pictures that when you're sleeping which by the way i think is very funny that uh that this is a great little what's the hashtag again my lawyer won't think it's funny ugly sleepers unite when i sue you can tag shannon but is it ever creepy if a guy takes a picture of their girl sleeping

02:17:34 - 02:17:39 | Speaker 6:

well i know west does it all the time now and his kids do it to me everybody does it because i think

02:17:39 - 02:17:52 | Speaker 4:

we've talked to girls before that have said that guys have done that where they've gone out like KP if a guy takes a picture of you sleeping if you guys are like hanging out with each other like Jed you know takes a picture of you

02:17:52 - 02:18:04 | Speaker 3:

sleeping well Jed and I are dating so yes that would be really weird it'd be weird right it'd be creepy unless it was like a funny picture if it's like a me sleeping peacefully picture and we're not dating that's weird has anybody ever

02:18:04 - 02:18:11 | Speaker 4:

found that out has anybody ever found out that their person that they went out with took pictures of them while they were sleeping That's, like, weird. That's really weird.

02:18:11 - 02:18:32 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I did just find out. And the gatekeeper over here who's supposed to know better and think, wow, I know the thing he is least a fan of. I don't know if I should post it or not. The thing he hates most, the big double chin. I'm going to post that to all my followers. That's what she thought.

02:18:32 - 02:18:34 | Speaker 3:

You want me to face app it? I can edit it.

02:18:34 - 02:18:40 | Speaker 4:

Did you know, though, that Shannon is good now with you posting anything you want to of her? Go for it. She just said that just a few moments ago.

02:18:40 - 02:18:44 | Speaker 7:

I'm not looking for her permission now because apparently consent doesn't mean anything to her.

02:18:44 - 02:18:48 | Speaker 6:

Dude, on my birthday, that's what my friends and family do is we post the worst photos we could find with each other.

02:18:48 - 02:18:52 | Speaker 4:

KP, don't ever let her show you or see the picture on a group shot picture because-

02:18:52 - 02:18:59 | Speaker 6:

Dude, KP posted a photo of me last week with Calvin Johnson that was the worst photo.

02:18:59 - 02:19:07 | Speaker 2:

And I didn't say anything to her. We only had one chance to get a picture with him. I wasn't about to do a photo shoot with him. He had to go.

02:19:07 - 02:19:18 | Speaker 4:

I remember all the past people that have worked in the position that would say that it would take them longer to actually get the picture approved than actually to post the picture.

02:19:18 - 02:19:24 | Speaker 6:

Well, to be fair, I think we were all a little more, you know, cognizant of that. Me and Spike, for sure.

02:19:24 - 02:19:28 | Speaker 7:

No, I never asked for approval on photos ever. You can ask any social media director.

02:19:28 - 02:19:35 | Speaker 4:

I look like Spike sleeping in a good picture. That's what I look like. What's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. Hello.

02:19:36 - 02:19:40 | Speaker 1:

Hello. Hello, this is Jake. I'm just calling in because I had something to say.

02:19:40 - 02:19:43 | Speaker 4:

Yes, go ahead, Jake. Jake from State Farm, I love you.

02:19:44 - 02:19:48 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, Jake from State Farm. I used to work there, actually. Really? That's cool.

02:19:48 - 02:19:49 | Speaker 4:

What's going on?

02:19:50 - 02:20:00 | Speaker 1:

I just had a comment about how my girlfriend has a video of me while I'm sleeping, and I'm talking bad about my fancy running back because he did horrible that day.

02:20:00 - 02:20:02 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you were talking in your sleep. That's great.

02:20:02 - 02:20:04 | Speaker 3:

Well, hopefully she never shared that.

02:20:04 - 02:20:06 | Speaker 4:

Who is your fantasy running back? Do you remember?

02:20:08 - 02:20:16 | Speaker 5:

I don't remember. I think it may have been Derek Henry had a fluke week, one week, and I just apparently had Adam in my dreams.

02:20:16 - 02:20:23 | Speaker 4:

That's great. Isn't that great when you're actually dreaming or having a nightmare about your fantasy team? Hi, Megan, the listener. What's going on?

02:20:24 - 02:20:38 | Speaker 5:

Hi. I was calling about the photo. So my boyfriend at the time took a picture of me and my dog sleeping next to each other. So it was more cute, more than creepy or weird, because I was sleeping next to our dog.

02:20:39 - 02:20:47 | Speaker 3:

Right. It's cute. But he didn't post it for like 20,000. I'm sorry. Let's see. Shannon has like 120,000 followers to look at.

02:20:48 - 02:20:53 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, but if he did post it, I think it would be cute because it's like me and the dog.

02:20:53 - 02:21:02 | Speaker 4:

It's you and the dog. But if he all of a sudden is taking pictures of you and, you know, your your sexy dress at night, that would be weird, wouldn't it?

02:21:03 - 02:21:07 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that would be really weird. I wouldn't want that on social media.

02:21:07 - 02:21:26 | Speaker 3:

What about at night when you're laying on your own sofa in your pajamas that you think nobody's ever going to see in public because you would never wear them in public? And you're sleeping there with your triple chin, falling asleep, just trying to work hard and support the family and bring home a paycheck, and this is the thanks you get.

02:21:26 - 02:21:28 | Speaker 9:

Y'all don't wear your pajamas in public?

02:21:29 - 02:21:30 | Speaker 4:

Massage Tamara?

02:21:32 - 02:21:32 | Unknown:

Hi.

02:21:33 - 02:21:43 | Speaker 4:

What's up? Massage lady. Where are we calling you Massage Tamara? Are you a misfit? I don't think so, right? That's what you wanted to be called. She said she was. She was a misfit? Are you a misfit?

02:21:43 - 02:21:52 | Speaker 6:

She said she's a massage lady. I'm the massage lady that ups the time for my tips, remember?

02:21:53 - 02:21:55 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you don't get to call yourself a misfit.

02:21:55 - 02:21:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I don't think technically you're a misfit, but maybe. Let's see what her story is all about. What do you got?

02:22:00 - 02:22:26 | Speaker 7:

So I have a girlfriend crew, and we meet for Wine Down on Wednesdays. And we have one lady, one of our girlfriends that is notorious. One glass, and she's out. She's falling asleep at the table. We have a collage of pictures of her just sitting and falling asleep at any table, any club. It doesn't matter if the music is 300 decimals. What's her name? Oh, no.

02:22:29 - 02:22:31 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Terry. What's going on?

02:22:32 - 02:22:41 | Speaker 8:

Hey, so I was just calling in to tell you guys I thought this was pretty funny. My ex, he used to think it was really funny because I love drinking Pepsi. It's my favorite drink.

02:22:41 - 02:22:47 | Speaker 4:

02:22:47 - 02:23:17 | Speaker 8:

Well, it might have been.

02:23:17 - 02:23:32 | Speaker 4:

That actually is funny if Spike's girlfriend Meg's listening, put random things next to him while he's doing it. You know what I mean? Like how you had a Pepsi and a baguette that were there. Just grab random things that you can actually put there towards Spike.

02:23:32 - 02:23:41 | Speaker 3:

F around and find out. My team lost the Super Bowl this week. You want to play? I'm angry. I'm ready to redistribute the wealth of rage.

02:23:41 - 02:23:48 | Speaker 4:

I think it would be funny. I think that would actually be quite humorous to see what she could actually creatively come up with.

02:23:48 - 02:24:00 | Speaker 9:

We need one for Mojo. I just posted one for Spike, one for Shannon. And Megan, Mike, you got any sleeping photos, bad photos of yourself you want to turn in? I don't sleep all the time, so that would be hard for me to do.

02:24:00 - 02:24:03 | Speaker 4:

By the way, Mike's currently sleeping at this particular moment.

02:24:03 - 02:24:11 | Speaker 2:

This is Jackie Matthews. speaking. I am 21 years old and this is the second mass shooting that I have now lived through. 10 years and two months ago, I survived the Sandy Hook shooting. The fact that this is the second mass shooting that I have now lived through is incomprehensible. My heart goes out to all the families and the friends of the victims of this Michigan State shooting, but we can no longer just provide love and prayers. It needs to be legislation. It needs to be action. It's not okay. We can no longer allow this to happen We can no longer be complacent I'll forever be Sandy Hook strong And forever be Spartan strong

02:25:35 - 02:25:38 | Speaker 4:

She was sixth grade Yeah, oh my god Sandy Hook

02:25:38 - 02:26:19 | Speaker 2:

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck celebrated their first Valentine's Day as a married couple by getting coordinating tattoos on social media.

02:26:19 - 02:26:21 | Speaker 4:

They may not be as bad as we thought that they were.

02:26:21 - 02:26:33 | Speaker 2:

J-Lo showed off her new infinity sign tattoo. It's got an arrow striking through the middle It's on her left rib cage And then Ben got two overlapping Arrows tattooed right below His armpit with a J

Alec Baldwin will be Returning to work on Rust as both Actor and producer after he was charged With involuntary manslaughter for the shooting Of cinematographer Helena Hutchins Remember production halted back in 2021 In the wake of her death but it will start up again this spring with many of the original cast members and crew members i should say in addition the crew will see a few new faces including helena's husband matthew as an executive producer i'm told that safety officers have also been added to the crew jason sudakis and olivia wilde's former nanny who spilled all sorts of dirty details about them to various tabloids is now taking them to court. According to this nanny, Olivia totally abandoned the household back in 2020, around the same time she started dating Harry Styles. It was because of that that this nanny claims a whole lot of pressure was put on her to fill in all around the home. Beyond just being the primary live-in nanny and caring for their two kids, the nanny claims she also started to become a shoulder for Jason to lean on. He would vent to her for hours upon hours. She also said her work duties started to be way more demanding. She was working around the clock. She said the anxiety became unbearable. She was advised by medical professionals to stop working, so she asked for a three-day break. Well, that's when she claimed she was wrongfully terminated and she's now alleging that Jason and Olivia violated several employment laws in the state of California. Yeah, so there's that. By the way, quick mention, Ted Lasso is returning for a third season next month, March 15th, to be exact. Yesterday, we got the trailer for season three.

02:28:23 - 02:28:29 | Speaker 3:

Are you surprised that they're canceling this with how bad Apple original programming is and how popular they're showing it?

02:28:29 - 02:28:32 | Speaker 4:

Or was that always the intention? No, Jason Sudeikis didn't want to do it anymore.

02:28:32 - 02:28:39 | Speaker 3:

Right, but like, honestly, Apple's got the money. Don't you throw an unreasonable amount of money at him to get this, like, continued?

02:28:40 - 02:28:46 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. No, I know. Do you want to see him get married at the end of this thing? Or do you want to see him have a romance at the end of this thing?

02:28:46 - 02:28:49 | Speaker 3:

I think he's going to get with, um, what's her face? The girl who runs the club.

02:28:50 - 02:28:57 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, the owner of the team. Yeah, that'd be nice. And if you haven't started watching it yet, have a great time. Yeah, spoiler alert. Spoiler alert, sorry.

02:28:57 - 02:29:34 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, Steven Spielberg is crediting Tom Cruise's Top Gun Maverick for saving Hollywood's ass. This is super hard to hear, but it happened at Monday's Academy Awards nominee's luncheon. Steven's hugging Tom and tells him exactly that. Tom's just smiling away after getting that compliment, but Top Gun Maverick is nominated for Best Picture. It was one of the highest grossing films of the last few years, raking in almost $1.5 billion at the box office.

02:29:34 - 02:29:42 | Speaker 4:

I told Paul and Anthony at Imagine Theaters, I'm like, man, it brought so many people back to the movie theater that a lot of people thought weren't going to come back. Yeah, for sure. It was great.

02:29:43 - 02:29:45 | Speaker 2:

Get the stories you'll talk about all day on Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. And another phone scan in minutes.

02:29:54 - 02:31:14 | Speaker 4:

All right, Mojo in the Morning. I went to Urban Dictionary to find the definition of this. I'm having a debate with a friend of mine, and the debate is over a particular phrase. So a friend of mine was talking about a girl that he went out with and how they hooked up, and I'm like, oh, wow, okay, so we're talking about this. And then days later, I said, well, you're already having sex with her. And he said, no, no, no, we just kissed. And I go, what are you talking about? You said you hooked up. Yeah. And he said, no, we just kissed. That's hooking up. And I said, that's not hooking up. So I wanted to bring this to the airwaves. And I also haven't looked at Urban Dictionary to see what Urban Dictionary calls hooking up. But, oh, here you go. This is good. Here's the definitions of hooking up. And it's based on a tier system. Middle school age, hooking up is kissing or making out. High school, generally, it's touching in some of your private spots and kissing. Young adults, it's pure on having sex. Older adults like parents, it's being nice with each other.

02:31:15 - 02:31:21 | Speaker 1:

I always thought hooking up was everything. How old was this person, Mojo?

02:31:22 - 02:31:29 | Speaker 4:

40. I think he's Chelsea's age, like mid-40s. My wife, Chelsea, is like in her mid-40s.

02:31:29 - 02:31:39 | Speaker 3:

I found a difference when I moved from the East Coast to the Midwest on what people thought it meant. Because on the East Coast, it only meant you made out. And then when I got here, I realized, oh, when you say you hooked up with somebody, they mean all, everything.

02:31:40 - 02:31:45 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I thought it was hand stuff. Like, that's what I thought hooking up was. Like, that's when it started. And then after that, it was just hooking up.

02:31:46 - 02:31:52 | Speaker 5:

I think it's anything that has the word sex associated with it. You know, like, was that an appropriate way to say it? I could agree with that, Megan. Yeah.

02:31:53 - 02:31:59 | Speaker 4:

I personally think that using the word at all once you're over 40 years old kind of sounds weird.

02:31:59 - 02:32:11 | Speaker 3:

But maybe that's the reason why. Even say making out or smashing or whatever, it always sounds like anything. And when you're older, it doesn't sound the same as when you're teenagers. Banging. She kind of hates me when you say banging.

02:32:11 - 02:32:17 | Speaker 4:

If you're somebody that's in your 40s and you're using any of those terms.

02:32:17 - 02:32:21 | Speaker 3:

But what's the alternative? You're going to go, we fornicated last night. We slept together.

02:32:21 - 02:32:23 | Speaker 4:

Or we kissed, we had sex.

02:32:23 - 02:32:34 | Speaker 1:

No, you have to choose what the show gynecologist, Dr. Werner, says, and he will always say, did you have relations? I cannot keep a straight face when he says that.

02:32:34 - 02:32:35 | Speaker 3:

I'm like, what are you, a lawyer? Do you have relations?

02:32:36 - 02:32:38 | Speaker 4:

Alicia, hi. What's the definition of hooking up?

02:32:39 - 02:32:46 | Speaker 5:

Hey, so I am with you, but random question. What is your friend's race? Is he white?

02:32:47 - 02:32:48 | Speaker 4:

No, Albanian.

02:32:48 - 02:33:16 | Speaker 5:

ah so my husband is indian and um i've been with him now for 12 years but when i first got together with him he would mention that so-and-so hung up with another person and to them uh like his friends who are also indian it was making out but to me and my friends it was you know baking cookies yeah it could be a cultural difference yeah that could be maybe it is a

02:33:16 - 02:33:43 | Speaker 4:

type thing but it sounds so weird like because if if hooking up is what he deems hooking up to be i have hooked up with a lot of people i've actually my number is much higher than i thought my number was because i'm thinking to myself i'm going wait a second i didn't have a very uh i don't have a very large number of women that i've had what did you call it megan a body count oh coitus wow okay i have to try to pronounce that coitus don't tell chelsea that because we

02:33:43 - 02:33:54 | Speaker 5:

need a morning host that cares about us so i don't want you walking in the house and saying hey chelsea you know my hookup numbers are a lot more than i'm going long i'm seriously i look so

02:33:54 - 02:34:18 | Speaker 4:

much cooler now because i would always get kisses and we're making out but i would never get like you know you know what i'm talking about wait is that does that mean maybe you hooked up with your dog too you know what that is true i honestly i never thought about that but yeah thank you Alicia uh what's up Devin how you doing good how are you good so definition of hooking up

02:34:18 - 02:34:24 | Speaker 1:

um well hooking up would be having sexual relations but there's uh there's a Gen Z thing

02:34:24 - 02:34:50 | Speaker 4:

where hooking up is making out or touching interesting so Gen Z has kind of made it a little less naughty right that is that's what I've seen yes okay all right never thought about that damn gen z is always changing it what's up how does he know that though yeah he doesn't college professor calling us from university of michigan there thank you so much what's going on

02:34:50 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 5:

meg hi i just wanted to agree with how in the east coast i lived in connecticut and over there it's very different um and like looking

02:35:00 - 02:35:19 | Speaker 3:

up is just touching and like kissing and making out and like anything that's not like sex and in the Midwest it can be anything like sex to just kissing and like I'm in college so like that's someone from 21 year old 22 year old yeah how much hooking up did you do in your life

02:35:19 - 02:35:27 | Speaker 1:

all right it's mojo in the morning

02:35:27 - 02:35:31 | Speaker 2:

Putting the ass in harassment. It's another Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

02:35:31 - 02:35:33 | Speaker 3:

I love listening to the phone scams.

02:35:33 - 02:35:34 | Speaker 4:

In minutes.

02:35:34 - 02:35:41 | Speaker 2:

I hate the cold almost as much as the person who sneezed on me got me sick. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:35:43 - 02:36:10 | Speaker 1:

All right, Mojo in the Morning show is your home of the phone scams.

02:36:10 - 02:36:14 | Speaker 3:

We will, we will scam you.

02:36:15 - 02:36:17 | Speaker 2:

Sorry, it's a catchy song.

02:36:17 - 02:36:19 | Speaker 3:

It's your home of phone scams.

02:36:20 - 02:36:30 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning. Hello? Yeah, hello. This is Dewana McCoolid from Human Resources calling for James.

02:36:32 - 02:36:33 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, this is James.

02:36:33 - 02:36:48 | Speaker 2:

Hi, James. I hope you have a second to talk here. I understand you took a personal day. So are you at home and not at the office? Yeah, I'm at home. Well, that's all for the better because we have to discuss about what happened yesterday. Do you know why I'm calling?

02:36:51 - 02:36:51 | Speaker 4:

No.

02:36:52 - 02:36:57 | Speaker 2:

Do you know that you acted inappropriate at the Super Bowl party that you were at with your clients?

02:36:58 - 02:36:59 | Speaker 4:

No.

02:36:59 - 02:37:12 | Speaker 2:

We got a call from two co-workers of yours, and we did corroborate the story with one of our customers that was at the party. It sounds like you were a hot mess yesterday. Did you have too much to drink at the party?

02:37:14 - 02:37:25 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, there was a lot of drink there. They were serving us. And, I mean, I remember I did drink, but I don't remember doing anything inappropriate.

02:37:26 - 02:37:28 | Speaker 2:

Well, maybe because you were unconscious. Do you remember being unconscious?

02:37:30 - 02:37:33 | Speaker 4:

I may have fallen asleep a little bit.

02:37:33 - 02:37:52 | Speaker 2:

Let me give you a little rundown of what we were told happened at the party. And maybe you don't remember a lot of this because you were unconscious and intoxicated. But apparently you put your whole hand in the chili bowl at the food table. and you also poured Jack Daniels on the taco salad to, as you said, make it healthier.

02:37:54 - 02:37:55 | Speaker 4:

What?

02:37:55 - 02:38:02 | Speaker 2:

Do you remember destroying the food that was put out for the customers? No. Do you remember seeing the band Modal Nodes that played before the game?

02:38:03 - 02:38:08 | Speaker 4:

I mean, I know there was a band. I don't remember to know their name.

02:38:08 - 02:38:53 | Speaker 2:

Oh, good. You were still conscious enough to remember there's a band because I was told that you jumped on stage, took the lead singer's microphone and you announced which one of you lucky ladies is going to tuck my drunk ass into bed oh my god i didn't do what any of this ringing a bell with you no you don't remember thinking that halftime was your own personal opportunity for karaoke no i don't remember james you embarrassed our company in front of several clients at the party made a mess of it that hangover that you called in sick for is your body reminding you that you're an idiot i am so so sorry what do you suppose we should do about this i've never i can just say i'm

02:38:53 - 02:38:59 | Speaker 4:

sorry i have no idea i really don't drink like that so you're saying you don't drink like that

02:38:59 - 02:39:05 | Speaker 2:

but you obviously were aware that you were intoxicated you know i think i actually might

02:39:05 - 02:39:22 | Speaker 4:

be like allergic to alcohol and that's why i don't drink that much because the way it affects my body you think you might be allergic i just this doesn't happen to me like i don't drink like this and this might be some kind of reaction or something i don't know at the end of the night

02:39:22 - 02:39:54 | Speaker 2:

you were sitting in front of the entrance of the restaurant in the mud eating pizza with your shoes off clients saying to our managers is that your guy oh my god what do you think we should do with an employee who blacks out at a company endorsed event i think maybe maybe i you should let me call and apologize to everybody please oh you want us to put you back on the phone with the people you already left messages for and offended do you want to hear the message you left for your boss last night? I don't think

02:39:54 - 02:39:55 | Speaker 4:

I do.

02:39:57 - 02:39:59 | Unknown:

We will we

02:40:00 - 02:40:02 | Speaker 1:

You hear that, James?

02:40:03 - 02:40:04 | Speaker 2:

What?

02:40:04 - 02:40:08 | Speaker 1:

James, this is Spike from the Mojo in the Morning Show. You've just been the victim of a phone scam.

02:40:10 - 02:40:11 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

02:40:11 - 02:40:14 | Speaker 1:

Congratulations. Sounds like you had quite the Super Bowl party.

02:40:16 - 02:40:18 | Speaker 2:

Bro, I thought I was going to throw up, dude.

02:40:21 - 02:40:40 | Speaker 1:

When Zaley sent us the information and said, here's all the things that happened at the party, I thought, no, no, no, don't make stuff up. I'll make the stuff up. Tell me what he really did. And she's like, no, that's what he really did. Oh, my God. All I know is you've got to come to our next party. Dude, no, man. I'm never partying again, dude.

02:40:43 - 02:40:47 | Speaker 2:

We will, we will scam you.

02:40:49 - 02:40:51 | Speaker 3:

Okay, just tuning in.

02:40:51 - 02:40:57 | Speaker 1:

We interrupt this message to tell you that was funny. It's the home of the world-famous phone scams.

02:40:57 - 02:40:59 | Speaker 4:

You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

02:41:04 - 02:41:06 | Speaker 3:

Hello, Cindy.

02:41:07 - 02:41:08 | Speaker 2:

Hello.

02:41:08 - 02:41:17 | Speaker 3:

It's Red Wing Wednesday. You are a winner, Cindy. Yay! Thank you. Congrats. Congrats, congrats, congrats.

02:41:17 - 02:41:18 | Speaker 2:

I'm so excited. Thank you.

02:41:18 - 02:41:25 | Speaker 3:

We're excited for you. Go and see the Red Wings take on the New York Rangers. The Little Caesars Arena. February 23rd.

02:41:25 - 02:41:26 | Speaker 2:

My husband's going to be excited.

02:41:26 - 02:41:41 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's nice. And it's college night, too, so anybody from EMU, from Eastern Michigan University, college night there, they're going to honor you, and that is, what is that, a week from tomorrow, so the 23rd.

02:41:41 - 02:41:51 | Speaker 1:

The Rangers are potential trading partners for the Wings, we just found out, so you might get to see a couple of these players that are going to be shuffled around on the rosters. That's going to be cool. Your husband will be excited about that.

02:41:52 - 02:41:53 | Speaker 3:

Hang on the phone, okay?

02:41:54 - 02:41:55 | Speaker 1:

Thank you.

02:41:55 - 02:42:11 | Speaker 3:

All right, it is Mojo on the morning show. Megan got pushed to the little kids' table. She got, and this was actually not at dinner. This was in a meeting for, wait, aren't you on the board of this organization?

02:42:11 - 02:42:17 | Speaker 4:

A committee, a board, I'm pretty sure it's a committee. Which one's less important? Committee, right?

02:42:18 - 02:42:20 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I think that they're both very important.

02:42:21 - 02:43:47 | Speaker 4:

I think a board is like higher, higher up, right? I'm not that important. They've got very important people on that. So I'm on the committee for our women's shelter here in Toledo called the YWCA. And we have monthly meetings. I actually have a meeting again with him tonight, which I'm really excited about. I got new info coming your way quickly here on my Instagram if you're following along. But anyways, we had our monthly meeting on, what was it, Monday? And I go, and we are getting so much done. You ever have a meeting where you're so productive? You're like, who are we? We are, like, Sia's unstoppable. You can't stop me right now. I'm killing it. But this meeting goes over, and a lot of people have to leave their moms. They've got to go get the kids. That makes sense. But a few of us decide to stick around and get more done, do a little bit more planning. And so when this meeting ends, we kind of break up into two groups. And I look up, and I realize we've been split up very interestingly because it's all of the women who make all of the important decisions, and they're having this deep discussion. It's beautiful to watch. Ladies getting it done, women power. And then there's me and my friend Lauren, and we're definitely at the kids' table because we're actually sitting with legitimate children who are brought to this meeting who are in middle school. And I'm like, girl, my entire life, I swear to God, I will always be sat at the kids' table, even in my real-life adult responsibilities. I'm sat with literal children instead of with the women.

02:43:47 - 02:43:53 | Speaker 3:

So they had a big conference room table, and then there weren't enough seats, so you had to sit at a little table?

02:43:53 - 02:44:38 | Speaker 4:

So we had a big conference room table, and we're in the Midwest. The sun sets weird angles early, pretty much. So the sun's coming down. We're being blinded at half of this table. So they moved to another table in another area of the building we were in. But it was like, I was left with the literal children. There is a kid on a phone playing Minecraft, and I'm trying to get stuff done. And then I am a grown adult lady. Thank you very much. But were you trying to help the kid play Minecraft? Yeah, a little part of me was, like, so sick of actually doing work that I was like, what are you doing? Megan, didn't you just buy that new Harry Potter game? No. Thank you, KP, for reminding me that I don't have Harry Potter. Not until July. Until July. Because I have a switch. I think you could have played with him.

02:44:39 - 02:44:46 | Speaker 3:

Don't they realize that that's a bad move for them to put you there because your attention span is about those kids' level?

02:44:46 - 02:44:47 | Speaker 4:

Correct.

02:44:47 - 02:44:50 | Speaker 3:

And you would not be very productive if you're sitting there with those guys?

02:44:50 - 02:44:58 | Speaker 4:

Correct. But why is it until we pop out a crotch goblin, we will always be sat at the kids' table?

02:44:58 - 02:45:00 | Speaker 3:

By the way, good use of the word that our listeners...

02:45:00 - 02:45:20 | Speaker 1:

gave us right or no wait wait what did they know what did they should give us this day ankle what did you call it yeah so was it crotch yeah yeah or vagina trophies so do you just say vagina i love it did you do you um like at thanksgiving and christmas dinner and stuff always the kids

02:45:20 - 02:45:31 | Speaker 2:

year olds i swear to god there is something about not having kids that like all people who have kids just don't see you as equals and it's a little frustrating i don't know i have friends who have

02:45:31 - 02:45:45 | Speaker 3:

kids who um still they are still considered kids like adults will be like oh you have kids it's like yeah we just don't look old you know yeah but we look young to you because you are old i'm sorry

02:45:45 - 02:45:52 | Speaker 1:

i'm just gonna back slowly out of the room right now

02:45:52 - 02:46:00 | Speaker 2:

So all of the adults in my life call me too young and then KB has the audacity to come out here and be like, I'm wrong, you're old.

02:46:00 - 02:46:01 | Speaker 1:

Oh my gosh.

02:46:01 - 02:46:05 | Speaker 2:

The disrespect that I face from my coworkers on a regular basis.

02:46:06 - 02:46:17 | Speaker 1:

Can I tell you something though? I'd rather be at the kids table only because the adult table, sometimes they make it too fancy and their conversation becomes like political and stuff.

02:46:17 - 02:46:36 | Speaker 2:

No, I live for that kind of stuff. I live for those discussions. You know what happens when you're the only non-parent at the kids' table? You're now the babysitter for the evening. And now you have to entertain the children and talk. Do you ever sit down and talk with a seven-year-old for two hours straight? Because let me tell you, it's interesting for about five minutes. And then you're done.

02:46:39 - 02:47:15 | Speaker 1:

844 Mojo Live, 844-665-6548. Are there any other kids' table listeners that are out there? People that always end up at the kids' table? It's the worst at Thanksgiving time. And then the other thing, too, that is tough is we don't ever like to do the kids' table. So we'll try to extend the table. And then you've got stairs you've got to counter with. Or we've moved the kids' table from one room to the other. And it's just awkwardly in front of the television the entire time. By the way, when is your event that you're putting together for this?

02:47:15 - 02:47:24 | Speaker 2:

So our Milestones event is happening on March 31st at the, what are they calling the Seagate Center now? It's like one Seagate, whatever.

02:47:24 - 02:47:28 | Speaker 1:

Explain why you're doing this, what you're doing and everything, because I don't think people understand this.

02:47:28 - 02:48:43 | Speaker 2:

So I had my world absolutely turned upside down when I saw the women's shelter here in Toledo. It's on Jefferson Avenue. It's in downtown. And I think a lot of people know that it's there and don't know what condition it's in. That is a safe haven for a lot of women in Northwest Ohio. Like, it's not just Toledo. They go down, like, they serve women two hours south of us, an hour and a half west of us. Like, it is a huge resource, and it is devastatingly underfunded. The building is absolutely falling apart, and it is horrific to see the conditions inside and know that that is a lot of women's only option. And so we are currently in the middle of a huge capital fund. Essentially, that sounds fancy. It's a huge fundraiser. They are raising, I think, we need $15 million. I think we have over $12 million. I could be wrong. Wow. But COVID, unfortunately, made the cost go way up. So we had actually raised what we needed, and all the construction materials and everything went up in price. So the fight's not over, and we're going to keep grinding. but we're hosting a lot of events to try to do that fundraising.

02:48:43 - 02:48:46 | Speaker 1:

That's awesome. You got all that info from the kids table.

02:48:46 - 02:48:59 | Speaker 2:

Once we start construction, the hard part is because the building is so old we have to put everything up to code first. Once you start, you can't stop. We need this money so we can start the process. See, she's very adult

02:48:59 - 02:49:28 | Speaker 1:

and she's, you know what, even though some don't treat you as adult. That's good. That's good. I'm glad you're doing this. Texters are texting in right now, so we're getting more texts than calls, maybe because people are at work. Same, Megan. I'm always at the kids' table. Anytime that we have a holiday dinner, my parents put me with my niece, nephew, and cousins who are all under the age of 12. I am over 28.

02:49:29 - 02:49:31 | Speaker 3:

Over 28. What does that make you? You would call old.

02:49:31 - 02:49:32 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, over 28.

02:49:32 - 02:49:44 | Speaker 3:

So I just want to clarify real quick. I was not calling Megan old. I was calling the people old who think that Megan is young. They are aging and not realizing that people in their 30s are actually adults. That is what I meant.

02:49:44 - 02:50:00 | Speaker 1:

Another texter here, 617, says, Megan, I was at the kids' table until I was 40 and actually had my first serious relationship. That's the thing. It's bad when they don't let you sit at the table.

02:50:00 - 02:50:28 | Speaker 3:

the adult table because they don't think that you're in a relationship you know what i mean yeah like that kind of awkward spare does that change the status of you and your family that you actually have to have somebody you know that that doesn't make any sense um megan didn't you one time say that you love the kids table that was another texture this hair i think i thought i remembered that you loved the gossip that goes on with the kids at the kids table and you like to get what the details of what's going on maybe it's at your family's kids table so i yeah i do

02:50:28 - 02:50:42 | Speaker 5:

like when the kids start telling you about how much juice mommy drinks and that daddy didn't come home like that's interesting but you know what is most of the conversation is on this week's

02:50:42 - 02:51:19 | Speaker 3:

episode of bluey they did uh what else we got here oh so we were having a conversation earlier this morning with mike about his great gift that he bought his wife which was that pregnancy pillow with his face on it so that every time that she puts it between her legs for comfort because she's pregnant, she's got Mike's face smiling away at her vagina. Shannon bought her boyfriend a very interesting Valentine's gift. Fiance. I'm sorry, fiance. Sorry about that. Fiance. I forgot. I'm sorry.

02:51:20 - 02:51:21 | Speaker 5:

She sits at the adult table.

02:51:21 - 02:51:25 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. So what did you get him?

02:51:25 - 02:51:58 | Speaker 4:

So we were not doing anything Valentine's. Like, it was all for the kids. But I, like, wanted to get him a little, like, something funny. So I got him, like, an oversized heart cookie from Detroit Cookie Co., which, by the way, is amazing if you haven't tried it yet. I love them, too. And it said, I love your D on it. And I don't think that he was expecting it. But it actually said the word. No, it did say the word. I had it, they give it to you in like a pizza box, essentially, because it's that big. And who did you get to write that on there? They do.

02:51:59 - 02:52:00 | Speaker 3:

You talked about it on the show, remember?

02:52:00 - 02:52:16 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I ordered it a couple weeks ago. But I had like a big, beautiful bow on it, and he opened it up. He almost fell over. He was laughing so hard, but then I felt bad because he had done like really nice gifts for the kids to give me. And he wrote me this really sweet card, and I gave him the cookie that said, I love you.

02:52:16 - 02:53:26 | Speaker 3:

Honestly, as a guy, I think most guys would rather that be their gift. Somebody to say that they love it. And by the way, speaking of that, in trending news, I have a story about penises. I love penises. Yes. A good one for you. So stick around. What's the plural? Is it penis? Peni? I think, yes. Wieners. Wieners. Yeah. We're going to get serious at the beginning. We've been covering for you guys all morning long the tragic news out of East Lansing, Michigan, and the horrible tragedy that is going on there. But our Ohio listeners sometimes feel slighted with the fact that this hasn't been covered enough. And you know what? I feel like we have talked about it, but you're right. It's not talked about enough. The train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, which has led for this town to have the most tragic situation going on right now with basically the air being poisoned, the water now being poisoned. We'll catch you up to date. They covered it on all the local morning show or the national morning shows like Good Morning America, Today Show, CBS This Morning.

02:53:26 - 02:54:21 | Speaker 2:

This morning, as residents are told it's safe to return home, unanswered questions remain about potential lingering contaminants from the massive fire and hazardous chemicals. We are recommending that people in the community consider using bottled water. This surveillance video obtained by ABC News shows a train about 20 miles outside of East Palestine, less than an hour before that 50-car derailment. The NTSB believes those sparks are from what appears to be a wheel bearing in the final stage of overheat failure. Norfolk Southern says with the EPA, it has completed more than 115 in-home air tests and that none have detected any of the substances related to the incident. It says it's conducted more than 400 tests total. Yet officials are reporting that 3,500 fish across 12 different species have died in Ohio's waterways, and some residents report their pets, including cats and chickens, have died. In East Palestine, these gas detectors dot the town, this one hanging from a

02:54:21 - 02:54:28 | Speaker 5:

stop sign across from Ashley McCollum's house. What caused it? So I don't know if we'll ever

02:54:28 - 02:54:44 | Speaker 2:

have that sense of feeling safe. And now, in spite of the clean air reports, she's moved her children to different schools after they complained of headaches and pains following the derailment. Now, consumer advocate Erin Brockovich, who fought for clean groundwater in her California town, has stepped in to help.

02:54:44 - 02:54:50 | Speaker 1:

They've been giving misinformation. They don't trust the information that's coming in, and they were scared.

02:54:51 - 02:54:59 | Speaker 3:

We all remember the movie Erin Brockovich that was played in an Oscar-like way, because I think she won an award for it, by Julia Roberts.

02:55:00 - 02:55:35 | Speaker 4:

But, yeah, it's tragedy. It's such a tragic thing that now the national media is starting to pay a little bit of attention to this. But now they're also starting to wonder about some other train derailments, too, because there's been many of them that have been happening with a lot of people, like, worried of what is going on. And we heard that the rail systems were so bad, but why is it that it's, like, almost like a cover-up by people? Here's a question that was asked of Governor DeWine at this press conference about that town, and would he live in that town if he were to have to?

02:55:35 - 02:55:40 | Speaker 1:

Governor, if you were to live in the area, would you feel comfortable moving back into your home?

02:55:45 - 02:55:47 | Speaker 4:

You had to walk up to the mic.

02:55:47 - 02:56:06 | Speaker 8:

I think that I would be drinking the bottle of water, and I would be continuing to find out what the tests were showing as far as the air. I would be alert and concerned, but I think I would probably be back in my house.

02:56:06 - 02:56:08 | Speaker 3:

That is such BS.

02:56:09 - 02:56:24 | Speaker 4:

We all know, you know, the water crisis that took place in Flint. This is not just water. This is the air. this is the streams this is everything the soil um so and uh and it's in the ohio river which is

02:56:24 - 02:56:37 | Speaker 3:

connected to the mississippi like this is going to have devastating effects on the country this is something that we are going to hear about in decades of like why are we having problems with this and they're gonna be like oh yeah we should we should have taken care of why did nobody talk

02:56:37 - 02:57:21 | Speaker 4:

about it honestly i'm shocked that it hasn't gotten a visit from the president same saying that you know hey we're coming to visit just like other tragedies have have had visits um story out this morning about another follow-up on that united airlines flight that we told you about yesterday that one that came within like 750 feet of crashing into the ocean before the pilots pulled up the pilots didn't put the plane in autopilot to actually have the autopilot take over. They were actually controlling the plane by themselves. Was there a reason for that? They ended up having to get retrained on this. They thought that they could actually steer the plane through whatever problems they were having. Here's another story.

02:57:21 - 02:57:26 | Speaker 5:

The FAA is forming a team of experts to examine flight safety after several recent close calls

02:57:26 - 02:57:31 | Speaker 7:

involving commercial planes. In the past few months, there have been a series of very serious

02:57:31 - 02:57:57 | Speaker 5:

potential mishaps that could have caused terrible loss of life. A mid-air scare in December just recently came to light. A United Airlines plane departing Maui took a nosedive, plummeting more than 1,400 feet in about 20 seconds, coming within 775 feet of the Pacific Ocean. I knew with our kids in between us, you know, this could be it. Passengers say they were praying for a

02:57:57 - 02:58:02 | Speaker 6:

miracle while others were screaming. I remember looking out and then I really thought I saw just

02:58:02 - 02:58:14 | Speaker 4:

a glimpse of the ocean and I thought what's going on? Can you imagine that? 750 feet from the ocean you look out the window and basically you think you're going to plunge into it. It was like the

02:58:14 - 02:58:20 | Speaker 6:

Tower of Terror at Disneyland. I mean I just felt like my stomach was in my throat. The pilots

02:58:20 - 02:58:54 | Speaker 5:

regained altitude and flew on to San Francisco. United says the pilots are receiving additional training. Another recent close call was at New York's JFK airport. A Delta plane nearly colliding with an American Airlines flight that was crossing an active runway. This could have been the worst aviation disaster in U.S. history. The American Airlines pilots are now complying with subpoenas from the NTSB after they initially declined three requests to be interviewed as part of the investigation. There is likely no cockpit recording from either of the American or United close calls. That's because both planes continued with their flight plans and the cockpit data

02:58:54 - 02:58:59 | Speaker 7:

recordings only last for two hours. If an airplane takes off and flies a long distance, it gets

02:58:59 - 02:59:06 | Speaker 2:

overwritten and that data is lost is that crazy wait that doesn't sound they only record now they

02:59:06 - 02:59:13 | Speaker 4:

only record two hours wow so any uh airline you know that's scary if if there's a flight to

02:59:13 - 02:59:22 | Speaker 2:

california from here or if there's an international flight there's no way for them to investigate if there was a problem when the plane took off or if there was a if it was pilot error because it's

02:59:22 - 02:59:50 | Speaker 4:

only it's not going to do this case this case was a flight taking off from hawaii landing in san francisco that almost crashed into the ocean they don't have any uh details in a cockpit recording because of it was re-recorded over once they were able to get the plane at you know normal level um i told you that there's some penis stories you want me to go with those guys because those are good stories are you ready for this one here we go penis stories um we got we got them for you

02:59:50 - 02:59:57 | Speaker 2:

get ready here you know to come to us find your penis for a dollar find your penis one dollar All right, here we go.

02:59:58 - 03:00:00 | Speaker 4:

A male contraception.

03:00:00 - 03:00:40 | Speaker 6:

The contraceptive pill could create a way for men to prevent pregnancy. Yes, yes, yes. Researchers from the National Institutes of Health say the compounds in the drug block the fertility protein for 24 hours. Moreover, men could take the contraceptive right before sex and still have full protection. They tested it in lab rats And they found that the lab rats Had no sperm count And then Stopped giving it to them And within a day or two They actually got their sperm count back Now it's not out right now But it may come out You would not trust a guy

03:00:40 - 03:00:49 | Speaker 3:

I wouldn't trust a guy to take it Come on you can't even put your dish in the dishwasher Am I really going to trust that you take this

03:00:49 - 03:00:58 | Speaker 2:

What if they got a male version of the depot. Just a one-time shot? Yeah, that would be very interesting.

03:00:58 - 03:01:00 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, exactly. You have to watch him do it.

03:01:00 - 03:01:01 | Speaker 6:

And you had to give it to him in their penis.

03:01:02 - 03:01:12 | Speaker 2:

We all know contraceptive is 100% effective. Wouldn't it be nice to have at least another backup option? For sure. Absolutely.

03:01:12 - 03:01:17 | Speaker 6:

Speaking of penises, the average penis size has increased, guys. This is big news.

03:01:17 - 03:01:19 | Speaker 5:

Big penis.

03:01:20 - 03:01:29 | Speaker 6:

Studies from men around the world show that the length of a fully erect penis grew 24% over the last 30 years.

03:01:29 - 03:01:34 | Speaker 5:

Oh, 30 years. What's the study? How are they studying? They're just changing where they start measuring from?

03:01:35 - 03:01:50 | Speaker 6:

But they say that this is a bad news. Both sperm count and testosterone levels have been falling. So they think that's all environmental. The average length of a penis across the regions in decades was 5.5 inches. That's average.

03:01:51 - 03:01:59 | Speaker 3:

Oh, good. How do they know? Wow, that's cool. They don't measure your penis and document in a doctor's appointment, right? Do you know?

03:01:59 - 03:02:01 | Speaker 5:

I get to ask that question.

03:02:01 - 03:02:05 | Speaker 3:

It's a private question. Well, how do they know for this study?

03:02:05 - 03:02:07 | Speaker 6:

Well, here's how they do this thing.

03:02:07 - 03:02:08 | Speaker 3:

Because let's think about this. They're lying then.

03:02:09 - 03:02:14 | Speaker 6:

I think it's based on guys, the truthfulness of these guys. I think that they're probably having that.

03:02:14 - 03:02:16 | Speaker 5:

The average is 36 inches.

03:02:16 - 03:02:20 | Speaker 3:

Wait, but don't you think that's an important thing that doctors should know? I'm not joking.

03:02:20 - 03:02:26 | Speaker 5:

No. Why should they know? I don't want to know. That's like the length of your big toe. What do you need to know?

03:02:26 - 03:02:30 | Speaker 3:

But what if it's like shrinking rapidly? Something's happening to you.

03:02:30 - 03:02:37 | Speaker 5:

Let me just tell you this. Everything changes when you get older. Your nose gets bigger. Your ears get bigger. It's just cold. Your body hunches over. What does that affect health?

03:02:37 - 03:02:40 | Speaker 6:

Your testicle sag. It's the worst feeling ever.

03:02:41 - 03:02:43 | Speaker 5:

I like that you think that needs to be documented.

03:02:44 - 03:02:46 | Speaker 3:

No, I think everything about your body should be documented.

03:02:46 - 03:02:49 | Speaker 5:

Do they measure your breast size when you go to the doctor?

03:02:49 - 03:02:50 | Speaker 3:

I mean, yes, when you get a mammogram.

03:02:51 - 03:02:58 | Speaker 5:

But when you go to your annual physical, do they put a measurement tape around your breast? I'm the wrong person to ask.

03:02:58 - 03:03:01 | Speaker 2:

Well, I will say this to you. What do they write in the chart?

03:03:02 - 03:03:11 | Speaker 6:

But I will say this, though, to you. The doctors do check you out, though, for testicular cancer.

03:03:11 - 03:03:13 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that's different than measuring the size.

03:03:13 - 03:03:16 | Speaker 6:

Here, let's talk about this one. This is crazy.

03:03:16 - 03:03:19 | Speaker 5:

Very defensive over there. No, I got nothing to measure. I'm telling you.

03:03:19 - 03:03:50 | Speaker 6:

A dozen eggs cost more than a pound of ground beef. Egg prices are still so high. So the price of a carton of eggs, 12 eggs, is $4.82, which is up since January. And the price of ground beef is $4.64. So you're spending more for that. Oh, guess who came forward? A guy who doesn't have to worry about the price of anything. The winner of that $2.04 billion Powerball jackpot.

03:03:50 - 03:03:51 | Speaker 4:

Is that the one in Maine?

03:03:51 - 03:03:54 | Speaker 6:

Or what was that one? It is the one in California.

03:03:54 - 03:03:56 | Speaker 4:

Oh, see, there's so many now. You can't keep track of them.

03:03:56 - 03:04:13 | Speaker 6:

So the California Lottery got this guy to come forward. They got his name, but he would not take pictures, they said, for any of their publications. His name is Edwin Castro. He chose the lump sum of $997 million from the lottery.

03:04:13 - 03:04:37 | Speaker 1:

The long-awaited mystery is now over. The name of the person who is the only player to match all six numbers of the historic Powerball drawing last November is Edwin Castro. Edwin would like to largely remain private. He understands his name is part of the public record and now part of history. But he respectfully declined our invitation to appear publicly with us today.

03:04:37 - 03:04:42 | Speaker 6:

This is like, you know what this is? This is like when you get an award at the Oscars and you don't show up. They have to accept it for you.

03:04:42 - 03:05:22 | Speaker 7:

Castro's name is now part of public record as with all of our winners but in an effort to balance transparency with privacy that's the only information that's subject to public record we don't reveal a place of residence for our winners this guy's hiding or any other identifying information And that's a great deal of respect we have for our winner's privacy. Yes. Yeah, because you announce it to everybody. You tell everybody in the press conference. By the way, Edwin, you have a lot of money right now. It would be so hard for me to win a billion dollars and not walk around and tell one person. Yeah. Well, listen, the people I would tell are the people I was going to share it with. I wouldn't tell anybody else.

03:05:22 - 03:05:29 | Speaker 2:

I wouldn't even tell them for a few months. The only person I'm telling is a financial advisor helped me get all that crap secure.

03:05:30 - 03:05:56 | Speaker 7:

situated and hire some security too all right that does it for today you guys have a great one we will see you back here tomorrow morning war of the roses day busting cheaters if you missed any portion of today's show got to go back and listen to it on the iheart radio app or wherever you get your podcast just search mojo in the morning our podcast there's definitely a ton of things that you can go check out and we will see you bye 20 plus years of idiocy and still
