00:05:00 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 3:

That if you want to have better cookie baking, for women especially, make sure when you're baking cookies, you're wearing socks.

00:05:13 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 6:

What? Yeah, isn't that a scientific fact?

00:05:16 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 3:

I don't know, but I don't like socks. I think socks are very not romantic. And so we were having this conversation, and we were sitting there talking about it, and she was going through some kind of a, I guess, scientific facts of why this is. why wearing socks while you're baking cookies is a really smart thing to do and all I kept thinking to myself was yeah it might be better for her but it's not as good for me because it's a turn off to me I don't know socks who wears socks going to bed are there any of you guys wear socks

00:05:45 - 00:05:47 | Speaker 2:

going to bed? Nah it's not

00:05:47 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 5:

premeditated. The only time I wear socks is if I'm sick and then I'm like so bundled in bed that I have these like these one particular pair of socks that are really cozy and barefoot dreams that brand beer i love those oh my god those are so soft yeah they make blankets and socks yes they make socks i know they make pajamas everything but i put those on and i like bundle myself up

00:06:09 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 6:

other than that i have to have bare feet in bed no it really depends on the temperature because i love not paying for heating and last night was freezing in my apartment so i slept in a sweatshirt sweatpants like thick socks like everything so it depends but in the summer absolutely not but if

00:06:27 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 4:

If you're baking cookies, you are not wearing socks. That's very, that's very like, I don't.

00:06:33 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 3:

Please tell me though, Megan, Megan, you have a romantic partner at home. Please tell me you're not going to be wearing that outfit.

00:06:38 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 6:

Oh, absolutely. You think I own a cute pair of like matching underwear set or cute pajamas at this point? Absolutely not. Shannon, school her on sexy. I'm going to be doing it most nights.

00:06:48 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 5:

I wear like a sweatshirt and sweatpants.

00:06:51 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 3:

Why would I go sexy today? School her on not wearing socks and sweatpants and sweatshirts and all that stuff.

00:06:57 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 6:

If you want to be sexy, we'll get naked. Like, I don't need silky cute pajamas that are $70. Every once in a while, I do like some of the cutie stuff.

00:07:06 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 2:

Get you a little Skims, little one-piece, little vibe. Are you buying?

00:07:12 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 6:

I'm just smashing. No. I'm not smashing, so I ain't buying. Even the dudes that are smashing are never buying.

00:07:18 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 5:

If anybody's looking for a holiday gift for any of the four women on this show, the Skims pajamas. See?

00:07:23 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 1:

Right? I'm a size small.

00:07:25 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 3:

I don't, by the way, I don't condone, by the way, us begging for freebies from listeners.

00:07:32 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 5:

No, I'm talking about you guys. If you guys want to buy any of the women.

00:07:37 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 3:

By the way, you want to know how great that's going to go over with my wife if I'm buying you guys skims? They're not sexy. They're not going over, Ben. Yeah. Real quick. I want to know about the socks thing. I want to talk about the socks. Who's wearing socks going to bed and why are you wearing socks? because if you aren't wearing them because you're trying to make cookie baking better, then there is no reason for you to be wearing them. You should not have socks on, especially if you have a partner. If you have a partner, you're basically telling your partner that you don't care about them by wearing socks. Am I right?

00:08:10 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 2:

Well, I mean, I will say it's like the last article of clothing to come off though. And there are moments where you just don't get that far. I don't want to be taken off. Does that make sense?

00:08:22 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 3:

No, I just think that feet are attractive.

00:08:27 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 2:

You're looking at feet while you're having sex?

00:08:29 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 3:

No, but I just, you know, of all of a sudden, every now and again, and by the way, we're calling bacon cookies now because the kids could be looking at it. But when you have, like if you randomly just have a foot in your face with a sock on it, you know? Joey, are you there, Joey?

00:08:46 - 00:08:47 | Speaker 1:

It's me.

00:08:48 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 3:

Yes, Joey, it's me. What's going on, Joey?

00:08:51 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 1:

Um, not much. I think you're being a little selfish, Mojo, but that's fine.

00:08:56 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 3:

Why am I being selfish, Joey? Explain.

00:08:58 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 1:

Okay, listen, I am team socks all the way.

00:09:01 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:09:02 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 1:

Team socks to bed, but I also don't wear anything else, just socks.

00:09:07 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 3:

Really?

00:09:08 - 00:09:30 | Speaker 1:

Wait, you are totally naked? Yes, hold on, hold on. It's going to be okay, guys. It's going to be a little bit of a ride, but it's going to be okay. I have had complaints while baking cookies that I wear socks. But once I tell them my reasons, and I also take them down the rabbit hole of peer-reviewed studies on socks.

00:09:30 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? So you're like Chelsea's friend that says that socks are better for you in the cookie baking.

00:09:36 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 1:

Yes, it's better for your teeth. It's better for regulating your body. It's better when you're walking around. It prevents, like, calluses. It's better for your feet. Anyways, I don't talk about calluses when baking cookies.

00:09:47 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that would turn me off if all of a sudden you're telling me about your calluses.

00:09:51 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 1:

So I'm like, listen, these are my reasons, okay? If you want the cookie, you're going to have to deal with it. Usually guys deal with it.

00:09:57 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 3:

So you know what it's like? It's like grabbing the cookies out of the...

00:10:00 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 2:

oven with uh like an oven mitt your socks are like an oven mitt exactly they keep everything

00:10:06 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 5:

nice and warm do you know how goofy it must look it must look goofy you completely naked but with socks on uh i mean i'm not gonna lie i've looked in the mirror before i think it looks pretty hot but whatever don't yuck my um mojo okay all right all right i will say though that if there is a moment where feet want to be involved the socks may be removed these are compromises you can make with your partner while being i love you joey do you take them off yourself by doing that sexy

00:10:40 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 2:

thing with your toe like where you slip them off you can't bite the sock i do that mojo how do you

00:10:45 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 5:

know that i do that what are you talking about you know you take your you basically take your toe and you push it off of your socks off your toe you put it in between like by the inside of your ankle and you kind of pulled this out okay yeah i thought there was something she's got long toes i feel like people are gonna know that uh we're not talking about baking cookies all right

00:11:08 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 2:

well listen joey thank you for calling and i won't yuck your yum anymore thank you i appreciate it you should read about it all right i'm gonna read about this marie about socks and uh why they are

00:11:20 - 00:11:25 | Speaker 1:

so good for you what's going on page i'm not much good morning folks how are you today

00:11:25 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 2:

We're good. What's going on?

00:11:28 - 00:11:35 | Speaker 1:

So, I mean, if we're baking cookies and I have socks on, I'm definitely not taking them off.

00:11:36 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so you just leave them on.

00:11:39 - 00:11:57 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean, I'm not going to interrupt the fun just to take socks off, but I am a huge believer in sleeping in socks. I have to wear socks to bed. But my husband knows as soon as I fall asleep because he's realized as soon as I do fall asleep, I take them off. So that's my cue, I guess.

00:11:58 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 2:

Oh, so you take them off because you don't want to get too hot, right? You want your feet to be ripped.

00:12:02 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. I take them off, I guess, as soon as I fall asleep. So I can't fake it if I don't want to bake cookies because if I pack them off, my husband knows I'm still awake.

00:12:12 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. That's interesting. That's the opposite of what I would think. I would think you'd put them on when you're sleeping.

00:12:16 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 6:

No, that's funny.

00:12:17 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 2:

Shelby, what's up?

00:12:19 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 6:

I am team socks all day, and now I feel like because of this, I have developed a complex. I've never had anybody say anything about the fact I wear socks. I just felt like my feet touched.

00:12:31 - 00:12:36 | Speaker 5:

Don't worry. It's 1,000% because I said, oh, I knew that, that everybody got so weirdly anti that.

00:12:36 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 2:

It had nothing to do with you. Sure. Sure, sure, sure. But also, she did say that she wears a big old pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt, too. So I would think to myself as a guy, if I'm laying down next to Megan and she's my partner dressed like that, I'm thinking she's getting prepared to go shovel the snow outside and not actually make love.

00:12:56 - 00:12:59 | Speaker 6:

I mean, I'm the same way.

00:13:00 - 00:13:03 | Speaker 2:

You like wear a lot of clothing. I don't know.

00:13:03 - 00:13:08 | Speaker 6:

Isn't it weird that you just want to be comfortable when you sleep and not look like.

00:13:08 - 00:13:18 | Speaker 2:

The best thing that ever happened to my life, and it was the worst thing that happened to Chelsea's, was when she went through early menopause and had to be hot all the time. I'm like, oh, great.

00:13:18 - 00:13:19 | Speaker 6:

Perimenopause.

00:13:19 - 00:13:30 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, is that what it's called? Perimenopause. She got perimenopause, and she was hot all the time. I'm like, oh, my God, she's, like, wearing less clothes. But then she'd be like, don't touch me. I'm hot. What's going on? Carla, what's up?

00:13:30 - 00:13:54 | Speaker 4:

i um my boyfriend when we first started dating and he started coming over he would wear socks because he said his toes were ugly and um he used to bake cookies with the mom i was wondering like why would he not take his socks off and then we got more comfortable in the relationship he told me the reason why he didn't take his socks off and what was the reason

00:13:54 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 3:

Did you see the toes? What was that? Did you see the toes? Were they ugly?

00:14:04 - 00:14:06 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, they're bad.

00:14:07 - 00:14:08 | Speaker 3:

He was doing you a favor.

00:14:08 - 00:14:17 | Speaker 2:

Let me show you calves. No, sure, yours. I think you and I, by the way, might have the two ugliest feet out of any person.

00:14:17 - 00:14:18 | Speaker 3:

No, no, my ankles are nice.

00:14:18 - 00:14:21 | Speaker 2:

You got big old flat feet like I do.

00:14:22 - 00:14:23 | Speaker 6:

You know what? That's not.

00:14:23 - 00:14:32 | Speaker 5:

He said his feet and ankles are nice You know that this is untrue You know you're spewing lies I told you you need to go to the doctor Because I'm worried about you

00:14:32 - 00:14:34 | Speaker 3:

My ankles are perfectly fine

00:14:34 - 00:14:40 | Speaker 2:

You've seen them as well They're bad He and I both need a podiatrist

00:14:40 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 5:

You know how you look at King Charles' hands and you're like There's something medically wrong with him I told you I'm worried I was being serious

00:14:48 - 00:14:53 | Speaker 3:

When I first said it I don't like you Shannon It's over

00:14:53 - 00:14:57 | Speaker 6:

00:15:32 - 00:15:38 | Speaker 5:

Oh, right, because you were saying before we were rolling that you wanted to take away everyone's guns. Very cool. Cool, cool, cool.

00:15:39 - 00:15:45 | Speaker 8:

You handle SEC compliance? LP agreements. Oh, man, I didn't know that. LLC agreements. You're s***. Being a corporate lawyer, you know, it's got its upsides. You know what I'd rather do? What? I'd rather let Queen Latifah in my mouth from a hot air balloon.

00:16:58 - 00:17:05 | Speaker 8:

Hillary Clinton was running for presidential office, and Zach Galifianakis interviewed her this year.

00:17:05 - 00:17:13 | Speaker 5:

As secretary, how many words per minute could you type? And how does President Obama like his coffee? Like himself? Weak?

00:17:13 - 00:17:19 | Speaker 2:

You know, Zach, those are really out of date. Robert De Niro, Zac Efron, starting the movie Dirty Grandpa.

00:17:19 - 00:17:27 | Speaker 6:

LP agreements. Oh, man, I didn't know that. LLC agreements. You're s***. Being a corporate lawyer, you know, it's got its upsets.

00:17:27 - 00:17:43 | Speaker 8:

And the Chainsmokers and Day had the song Don't Let Me Down. Don't let me, don't let me, don't let me down. We got a winner on the line from Howell, Michigan. Danette is on the phone. Yeah. Hi, Danette.

00:17:44 - 00:17:45 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. Hi.

00:17:46 - 00:17:47 | Speaker 8:

How you doing? Good morning.

00:17:47 - 00:17:49 | Speaker 4:

I love you guys. Love you. We love you, too.

00:17:50 - 00:17:51 | Speaker 8:

00:17:52 - 00:17:54 | Speaker 4:

2016. You got it!

00:17:55 - 00:17:55 | Unknown:

Mojo in the mornings, dirty on the 30.

00:19:06 - 00:19:56 | Speaker 1:

The spellings are always very creative, though, for those keywords. We can see them. Pay attention, y'all. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, Kanye West has decided that he is not a Nazi after all. This after tweeting that string of very anti-Semitic sentiments, comments, whatever you want to call them. Last night, he took to X to share. After further reflection, he has come to the realization that he is not a Nazi. And that post comes after, of course, some highly controversial posts on X earlier this month. and then the swastika t-shirt that he was selling on his website before it was taken down. So that's the latest update there. The music video for Lady Gaga and Beyonce's collab, Telephone, notably ends with the phrase, to be continued. How long ago was this song? A couple years?

00:19:57 - 00:19:58 | Speaker 2:

No. At least a decade, I feel like.

00:19:58 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 1:

Was it really?

00:20:00 - 00:20:18 | Speaker 5:

2007 2008 holy crap it's been that long it's gotta i was in high school that just ruined my day well now in a new video for vanity fair lady gaga takes one of those lie detector tests and she confirms that the long-awaited telephone continuation is absolutely still coming will it

00:20:18 - 00:20:36 | Speaker 4:

ever be continued yes when i don't know will this person be in it maybe you're being truthful I can't keep the picture of Beyonce. Is it taking forever because of scheduling conflicts with Beyonce? No. I mean, it's happening. I don't know when, but it's happening.

00:20:36 - 00:21:11 | Speaker 5:

And I will faint, puke, vomit, pee, poop, all at the same time. And lastly, I'm calling it the Taylor Swift divorce. There's a young woman. Her name is Louisa Melcher, who shared a video on social media, Instagram and TikTok specifically. and she showed that she was filing paperwork to end her marriage at her local courthouse okay she says she is divorcing her husband because he booed taylor swift when she was shown at the super bowl i don't know if this is real or not i'm thinking it's not but i'm gonna play it for

00:21:11 - 00:21:48 | Speaker 3:

you anyway i'm divorcing my husband because he booed taylor swift at the super bowl and i still don't think he believes me to be honest but he might want to start because i just filed my paperwork at the courthouse and you can see right here the date of separation is this year's super bowl i'm not just doing this because of the action of booing i am doing this because of everything that it represents in our relationship i have loved taylor allison swift since i was 12 my husband even likes her too like he'll put on her music when we're cooking together he has a favorite song it's girl at home but we were at the super bowl it was me him and five of his buddies and when they put taylor up on the jumbotron all of his buddies started booing and my husband joined in and that just tells me everything i need to know about that man

00:21:48 - 00:22:05 | Speaker 5:

because he didn't care that that would hurt my feelings and she said he just wanted to fit in with his boys he didn't care about how it made her feel he just wanted to look cool and she said that's not a man that's a boy and when you see that you can't unsee it so that is why she was

00:22:05 - 00:22:12 | Speaker 7:

divorcing him that is so dumb and i'm 100 for it i'm not mad at it it makes me honestly and we

00:22:12 - 00:22:17 | Speaker 6:

should do this as a topic one day it makes me think of what is the craziest excuse you've given to break up with somebody.

00:22:17 - 00:22:26 | Speaker 5:

That's actually a great topic. Write it down. Hey, for all of today's Dirty Ketchup on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

No, he's winning by one with two points total. He's not being impressive. You know what's not impressive? Losing. That's the only thing not impressive.

00:27:57 - 00:28:06 | Speaker 2:

Hey Mark Yes Mark's worried that his ex-girlfriend is messing around

00:28:06 - 00:28:08 | Speaker 3:

is sleeping with your buddy

00:28:08 - 00:28:11 | Speaker 2:

so she's not your girlfriend anymore you guys broke up already

00:28:11 - 00:28:12 | Unknown:

Right.

00:28:12 - 00:28:17 | Speaker 2:

And now you think that she is having a relationship with your best friend.

00:28:18 - 00:28:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, from high school.

00:28:20 - 00:28:28 | Speaker 2:

Wow, all the way from high school you guys have been best friends and you guys hang out all the time and you think that there's something going on between the two. Would that bother you even though you guys are exes?

00:28:29 - 00:28:40 | Speaker 3:

It's just something, like we had a, she wasn't just like a fling. Like we were actually dating, you know. I don't know, it's just one of those things, like you don't date your best friend's ex.

00:28:40 - 00:28:43 | Speaker 2:

So, have you had conversations with him about her?

00:28:46 - 00:28:49 | Speaker 3:

I've asked him a little bit.

00:28:51 - 00:28:59 | Speaker 2:

And when I mean this, I'm also talking, have you, like, you share with him, like, the problems that you guys had in your relationship and the struggles and stuff?

00:28:59 - 00:28:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:29:00 - 00:29:03 | Speaker 2:

And have you asked him if he's messing around with her right now?

00:29:04 - 00:29:20 | Speaker 3:

I've sort of asked him. I've kind of hinted, like, hey, what's going on? Is there, you know, are you doing, is there anything going on there? He, you know, he always says, no, no, it's just, you know, we're just friends. It's cool. But, like, it's kind of weird even the fact that he stayed friends with her.

00:29:21 - 00:29:33 | Speaker 2:

All right, so we're going to call him up to see who he will send a dozen free roses to. And you're hoping that he's sending those flowers to his mom or somebody else.

00:29:34 - 00:29:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:29:34 - 00:29:59 | Speaker 2:

You know, I feel kind of weird doing this only because he's not dating this girl anymore. But it is your buddy. Would you be upset, Cav, if your buddy was dating your ex? I guess it depends on the ex, right? Like, if we were in a long relationship, if she was like, my love, it would be kind of weird. Which just sounds to me like that's exactly what Mark's got going on.

00:30:00 - 00:30:01 | Speaker 1:

We're going to call, mute your phone.

00:30:02 - 00:30:03 | Unknown:

Okay.

00:30:04 - 00:30:14 | Speaker 1:

What's your ex-girlfriend's name? Charity. We're calling up Chase to see who he's going to send flowers to.

00:30:28 - 00:30:29 | Speaker 3:

Hello?

00:30:30 - 00:31:16 | Speaker 2:

hi is this chase yeah hi chase my name is Nicole I'm calling from a brand new online floral company called roses bloom calm I'm actually calling with an offer for some free flowers for you if you have like less than a minute to answer some survey questions for me we're gonna give you it's actually a beautiful arrangement it's a dozen long stemmed red roses that you can send to anybody in the country anywhere and totally free of charge to you I'm not gonna ask you for any sort of financial information, just get the flowers out today, and hopefully you'll use us in the future when you go to order flowers for somebody. Wondering if you're interested? Um, I guess. Okay. Have you purchased flowers in the last six months, Chase?

00:31:17 - 00:31:17 | Speaker 3:

No.

00:31:18 - 00:31:20 | Speaker 2:

Do you plan on purchasing flowers in the next six months?

00:31:23 - 00:31:23 | Unknown:

Possibly.

00:31:24 - 00:31:40 | Speaker 2:

Okay. As a thank you for participating in that rosesbloom.com survey, I'm now authorized to provide you with that dozen roses. And so I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to get a first and a last name from you of who you want these to go to today.

00:31:42 - 00:31:45 | Speaker 3:

Okay. You need that right now?

00:31:46 - 00:31:47 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

00:31:48 - 00:31:49 | Speaker 3:

Okay, charity.

00:31:51 - 00:31:54 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Are you at work or something? Is that why you're being quiet?

00:31:54 - 00:32:03 | Speaker 3:

uh yeah i had to yeah okay and what's charity's phone number uh it's uh

00:32:03 - 00:32:53 | Speaker 2:

okay and what's charity's relationship to you she's a friend okay i just want to make sure this this is um a dozen long stemmed red roses are you okay with that i just don't want to get put you in a weird situation if she misconstrues okay okay and we also do something really unique at roses bloom calm and that we offer a digital voice card instead of sending a paper card with the flowers so essentially charity will get a text message when the flowers are delivered and it's gonna be this little voice memo that I'm gonna record with you right now just kind of a little but it's like a step up from a paper card. Do you get it?

00:32:55 - 00:32:55 | Speaker 3:

No.

00:32:56 - 00:33:12 | Speaker 2:

What do you mean? So I'm going to count you down in a second. You're going to basically say a message that you would leave on a card, but you can actually make it longer. So when she'll get a text message with that, with the flower, when the flowers get delivered so she can play it and know who they're from.

00:33:13 - 00:33:13 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:33:14 - 00:33:19 | Speaker 2:

Okay? Sure. Here we go, Chase. Three, two, one.

00:33:21 - 00:33:30 | Speaker 3:

Hey, girl. I thought these would cheer you up. I know you've been down the last few days, so I hope you enjoy them.

00:33:32 - 00:33:39 | Speaker 2:

Okay. And Chase, I also have to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes. Are you okay with that?

00:33:40 - 00:33:41 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:33:41 - 00:33:50 | Speaker 1:

Great. Chase, we're going to send those flowers off, and I'm going to jump on here just to wrap up the call so that I can give you all the information, okay?

00:33:51 - 00:33:52 | Unknown:

Okay

00:33:52 - 00:34:06 | Speaker 1:

We will send those flowers off Make sure that She gets them And I know that we already asked you this question But I just want to reiterate Is this a girlfriend of yours or just a friend

00:34:06 - 00:34:09 | Speaker 3:

No she's a friend

00:34:09 - 00:34:12 | Speaker 1:

So just somebody that you're friends with

00:34:12 - 00:34:14 | Unknown:

Yeah

00:34:14 - 00:34:35 | Speaker 1:

Okay Alright we will send those off to her Okay Have a great day Goodbye Mark Yeah So he just says that they're just friends

00:34:35 - 00:34:43 | Speaker 3:

Yeah I don't even want them to be friends though The whole thing seems Just strange to me

00:34:43 - 00:34:49 | Speaker 2:

I know but you don't necessarily get to control Whether they're friends or not Like if that's all it is I don't

00:34:49 - 00:34:56 | Speaker 3:

No, of course I can control whether or not We're still friends, though I don't know

00:34:56 - 00:34:56 | Speaker 2:

Yeah

00:34:56 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 1:

Wow, that's too bad So you would actually lose a friendship?

00:35:00 - 00:35:15 | Speaker 2:

over this girl i just i don't know it's it just bothers me what are your thoughts on us calling him back to explain who we are and then calling her and seeing if we can get her on the

00:35:15 - 00:35:22 | Speaker 1:

phone with us and talk to them i don't know i think it sounds like it's gonna get messy i mean

00:35:22 - 00:36:22 | Speaker 2:

i think we're already messy we're already doing this you want answers man might as well get them now. We're here. All right. Fine. All right. Hang on one second. Don't miss this. When we come back here next on the Mojo in the Morning show, the very awkward and very in-your-face confrontation that takes place between two friends over one girl. We'll be back with the War of the Roses and comments on us doing this War of the Roses next. This is the home of War of the Roses. Mojo. Mojo in the morning. War of the Roses. Not busting a cheater. I mean, really not a cheater, right? But a buddy that is now hanging out with a friend's ex, which, Kelsey, you say is a no, no, no, no.

00:36:24 - 00:36:24 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

00:36:25 - 00:36:53 | Speaker 2:

And why is that? uh he broke bro code yes which by the way they always talk about bro code i would like to know why i don't have friends that have bro code you know what i mean maybe i'm hanging out with the wrong people what's going on it's mojo in the morning hi hi hi what's up i think that the friend is gay yeah it's interesting that you say that what's your reasoning just the way that he

00:36:53 - 00:37:06 | Speaker 3:

answered and then he when he sent her the message said hey girl I don't know very many men that were trying to get with someone that day girl that was super weird let me play that for you this was on

00:37:06 - 00:37:14 | Speaker 2:

the the message right uh hold on a second let me find that for you there here we go chase three two

00:37:14 - 00:37:26 | Speaker 1:

One Hey girl I thought these would cheer you up I know you've been down The last few days So I hope you enjoy them

00:37:26 - 00:37:28 | Unknown:

Oh good catch

00:37:28 - 00:37:36 | Speaker 2:

Yeah Could be I'm not going to tell you You know say that only Gay guys use the

00:37:36 - 00:37:40 | Speaker 3:

No I agree And I think he's too in tune to her feelings Girl

00:37:40 - 00:37:49 | Speaker 2:

So you're saying Wait a second You're saying that no uh straight dude would ever be into a girl's feelings i mean i don't know i guess you could

00:37:49 - 00:37:54 | Speaker 3:

if you could say that but i just feel that he seemed to be more interested in how she felt

00:37:54 - 00:37:59 | Speaker 1:

than actually trying to get with her so so what i heard you say is straight guys are not emotionally

00:37:59 - 00:38:42 | Speaker 2:

intelligent most she said it not me not me let me play you then the conversation that we had afterwards because we had it took us a while to try to get these guys on the phone with us So let me play for you, because we had to call back and see if we could get Mark's friend on the phone. So that was tough. So it was tough to get Chase on, and then it was tough to try to get his ex on the phone, too. So I'm going to play you that conversation right now, and then you judge what you think of whether or not there's bro code. Chase? Yeah? I know we explained to you why we have you on the phone here. Say hey to Mark.

00:38:44 - 00:38:49 | Speaker 1:

Hey, man, what's up? What's going on?

00:38:49 - 00:38:55 | Speaker 2:

Hold on one sec, okay? Because I'm going to bring somebody else on the phone here. Charity, are you there?

00:38:56 - 00:38:57 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:38:57 - 00:38:59 | Speaker 2:

And you're okay with your voice on the radio?

00:39:01 - 00:39:02 | Speaker 1:

I guess.

00:39:04 - 00:39:06 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so I just need a yes or no.

00:39:08 - 00:39:09 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

00:39:09 - 00:39:31 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so Mark is with us, and Mark was telling us how you dated before, and Mark also told us, Chase, how you are his best buddy, and he doesn't like the idea that you're talking to his ex-girlfriend.

00:39:37 - 00:39:37 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:39:37 - 00:39:46 | Speaker 2:

Chase Yeah Mark Mark feels Mark go ahead Tell Chase your thoughts

00:39:46 - 00:39:50 | Speaker 3:

I mean Dude Why are you talking to Charity Behind my back

00:39:50 - 00:39:53 | Unknown:

I

00:39:53 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 1:

I You know She Got in touch with me And I

00:40:00 - 00:40:20 | Speaker 5:

Just, you know, being a friend. Is that a problem? I mean, you guys weren't friends before I started dating her. You know how I felt about her. I told you everything, and now you guys are talking behind my back. Like, that's super s***.

00:40:23 - 00:40:30 | Speaker 3:

Charity, what are your thoughts on this one? you get a say-so on who you can be friends with and who you can't be friends with?

00:40:35 - 00:40:39 | Speaker 6:

Like, all I have to say is that we're just friends.

00:40:40 - 00:40:43 | Speaker 4:

So... Like, nothing's ever happened. Pass that.

00:40:45 - 00:40:46 | Unknown:

Um...

00:40:46 - 00:40:49 | Speaker 6:

No. No.

00:40:50 - 00:40:54 | Speaker 3:

So there's nothing that's ever happened between you and Chase?

00:40:57 - 00:41:03 | Speaker 6:

no we are we're just we're just friends

00:41:03 - 00:41:52 | Speaker 3:

chase nothing has happened between you and charity no because boy that's the the way the answer came out of charity out of your mouth makes it it sound like there is something that's happened i listen i'm i'm i'm somebody that believes and i don't know how everybody else feels but i'm somebody that believes that it's an ex for a reason you're an ex but that doesn't mean that you control who that person talks to i mean i i think that you got to kind of get over it mark but i also think that it would be really tough if you're not telling the truth what do you what do you guys think megan and kevin and and shannon and everybody what do you guys what do you think i mean

00:41:52 - 00:42:15 | Speaker 2:

Man, for starters, something definitely went on. Paul's a little too thick, but just to be a friendship. But I'm with my man, so if he up for it and he no longer wants to be a part of this relationship with somebody that's his best friend, but for some mysterious reason didn't communicate that he's still hanging out with his ex-girlfriend, like she never came up in conversation, that seemed crazy to me.

00:42:15 - 00:42:31 | Speaker 4:

Right. Yeah. That's the hard part, because I don't think that you can necessarily control who people are going to be hanging out with you know in situations like this but the fact that there's this big secret in such a close friendship would make me really uneasy i i don't know i just sit

00:42:31 - 00:42:41 | Speaker 3:

there and i uh i think that mark seems really controlling and our listeners i think are feeling that too but mark i feel bad for you because i feel like you're also not getting the truth out

00:42:41 - 00:43:03 | Speaker 5:

of uh out of these guys i have no i have no desire to control what other people do i just how am i i supposed to trust going forward you know like what am i going to tell him about the the next girl that i date no i do i want to introduce him to some other girl that i'm dating i mean forget about it i want nothing to do with that are you willing to throw away a friendship over this

00:43:03 - 00:43:13 | Speaker 1:

seems like he is yeah i was just about to say i don't think mark's the one throwing away the friendship chase chase disregarded him as a friend in his feelings to get with his ex

00:43:13 - 00:43:16 | Speaker 4:

he also didn't deny that there was something wasn't something going on

00:43:16 - 00:43:47 | Speaker 3:

All right, that was the conversation that took place after we made the call and saw who Mark's friend was going to send the flowers to. And Chase, as you just heard, sent the flowers to Mark's girlfriend or ex-girlfriend. Chris wants to comment, where are the roses? By the way, all the haters that say, this isn't a cheater, they're no longer together. We'll have a cheater, I'm sure, on the next one. Believe me or not. We've got a lot of those. What's up, Chris? What's going on?

00:43:48 - 00:44:01 | Speaker 6:

Hi. Well, first of all, Megan, I just want to say with that last caller, you used great motivational interviewing skills. It's what we as counselors do. Great job. Wow. Wait, explain. What?

00:44:01 - 00:44:07 | Speaker 3:

Come on. You can't just throw out compliments and not explain. What did she do that was so different than what we all do?

00:44:07 - 00:44:10 | Speaker 6:

She said what I heard you say is.

00:44:10 - 00:44:11 | Speaker 3:

Oh.

00:44:11 - 00:44:18 | Speaker 6:

That's motivational interviewing. That's a skill that counselors, social workers, therapists, we all use.

00:44:18 - 00:44:19 | Speaker 3:

Your therapist would be proud of him.

00:44:19 - 00:44:47 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. That's genuinely the best compliment. You are the job. Catch yourself on the back with that one. Secondly, so, listen, I empathize with him. I do. It's got to hurt to see your best friend with, you know, an ex. The heart wants what the heart wants. But I'm wondering, does he still have feelings for this woman? He obviously does.

00:44:47 - 00:44:49 | Speaker 3:

He just sounds like he's jealous.

00:44:49 - 00:44:58 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. He's jealous. Yeah. I mean, I validate what you guys said that he's, you know, Chase is throwing away. Chase is not.

00:45:00 - 00:45:18 | Speaker 2:

is following his heart it's well it's not in a very solid direction you should never do that but you know maybe he was attracted to her when they were dating and you know what i don't see

00:45:18 - 00:45:25 | Speaker 7:

anything wrong with the two of them and doesn't charity deserve to have somebody that uh is

00:45:25 - 00:45:29 | Speaker 5:

going to take her long-stemmed red roses as a friend and it's going to take care of her too

00:45:29 - 00:45:35 | Speaker 7:

You know, I mean, like, I mean, I know we're joking about the wrong summer and roses, which, by the way, they are fabulous red roses that we do send.

00:45:35 - 00:45:49 | Speaker 4:

They really are. And while I don't think there's been any, like, major red flags in him dating his friend's ex, I do understand why the friend doesn't want to be friends with him anymore. Like, I get both perspectives.

00:45:50 - 00:45:52 | Speaker 7:

Bruno, quick comment from you.

00:45:53 - 00:45:54 | Speaker 3:

Good morning, everybody.

00:45:55 - 00:45:55 | Speaker 4:

Good morning.

00:45:55 - 00:45:55 | Speaker 7:

Good morning.

00:45:55 - 00:46:35 | Speaker 3:

um so i think that uh mark is not really over her yet and um the other part that i was thinking is i think that chase probably should have maybe uh told mark about them kind of like you know still keeping in touch and maybe try to like i don't know say something to not let mark feel suspicious you know what i mean because i feel like if you're really over somebody you should not be jealous you know whom they're talking to or whom they're spending time with and i'm also wondering like how did the relationship even end was was it more like uh i don't know uh people

00:46:35 - 00:47:28 | Speaker 7:

exchanging words and they start talking well he ended the relationship that's the part that to me is the wackiest is that he wanted out of the relationship or he ended the relationship so you can't end a relationship and then all of a sudden tell somebody how they're supposed to be living the rest of their life after that one. I mean, and is, you know, charity doing this for the right reasons or is she doing it also possibly to make Mark jealous? That hasn't even been discussed. You know what I mean? Like that could be one way to say, hey, I'll just get with his friend. Or the roses here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. Megan is still glowing from that therapist calling and saying, this is the home of the second date update war of the roses the throwback throw down and the dirty on the 30 this is mojo in the morning mojo in the morning's dirty on the 30

00:47:28 - 00:47:44 | Speaker 5:

second dirty of the day all right tell me what you think of this is it enough or definitely not enough delta airlines offering passengers who were on that minneapolis to toronto flight that Crush landed and then flipped upside down. $30,000 a piece.

00:47:45 - 00:47:46 | Speaker 6:

Is this rhetorical?

00:47:46 - 00:47:47 | Speaker 5:

Okay, what do you mean?

00:47:47 - 00:47:49 | Speaker 6:

Your question of tell me what you think.

00:47:49 - 00:47:49 | Speaker 5:

No.

00:47:50 - 00:48:05 | Speaker 6:

You want to know? Yeah. Initially, as a guy that could use $30,000, my mouth watered. Then I'm like, hmm, if you're willing to give up $30,000, it must be a million dollar lawsuit.

00:48:05 - 00:48:40 | Speaker 5:

So if all 76 passengers take up Delta on its offer, the airline will have to fork over just about $2.3 million in total. Now, Delta care team reps are telling customers, people on that flight, that the offer has no strings attached and does not affect their rights. So when I heard that this morning, I'm thinking, does that mean that they could still lawyer up and sue for emotional distress? or I don't know what you would sue for in this case for in addition to that $30,000 more money. Delta is just saying, hey, we're so sorry this happened. Here you go. I don't know.

00:48:40 - 00:48:57 | Speaker 4:

If I'm not one of the injured people, because obviously that's not going to cover medical bills or anything like that, even if you just went to go get checked out. I know there was one person who is still injured very badly. Still in the hospital. So that obviously isn't going to cover the medical bills. But $30,000 to be, yeah. Can I score off that plane? I know.

00:48:57 - 00:49:13 | Speaker 6:

I mean, if it's $30,000, and to your point, I don't have to sign anything that prevents me from seeking legal action, then yes. You're happy. You're good. But just think of, even if you're not hurt, think about what you will feel any time you go on a plane or any time your family goes on a plane.

00:49:13 - 00:49:20 | Speaker 5:

Like, I don't know what's going to happen. There is an element of emotional distress there, for sure. I have emotional distress watching it.

00:49:20 - 00:49:21 | Speaker 4:

Can I get $30?

00:49:21 - 00:49:44 | Speaker 5:

A$AP Rocky dodged a guilty verdict in court this week, but one of the jurors in his case said, you know, she does believe a crime was committed here. He just got real lucky in terms of the evidence that was presented. Now, just so you're aware, the jury made up of seven women, five men. This is Neek LeClaire speaking.

00:49:44 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 1:

You know, we discussed all the issues, all the questions that we had. We clarified those. we really kind of looked over some pieces of the evidence that people wanted to see a little bit more closely. And I think that we did the best we could with the information

00:50:00 - 00:50:35 | Speaker 2:

instructions that we had and with the evidence that we had. The feeling was that there was a gun that unfortunately they didn't have enough evidence to commit on the charges that were handed down to us. What did you think about the testimony of Raleigh? Raleigh, you know, I believe so. I believe that he felt his life was in danger. I do. I feel, you know, I feel for all of them, you know, all the people involved with this. I feel like this could have been avoided. I hope that in the future, Mr. Mayers really thinks his actions, you know, about his actions before, you know, he is upset with somebody because he does have a lot to lose.

00:50:35 - 00:51:45 | Speaker 4:

Mr. Mayers is ASAP Rocky, by the way, in case you're going, who is? The latest in the Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni drama, Attorneys for Blake added nearly 50 pages to their lawsuit against Justin supporting Blake's initial allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation. So this amended complaint basically says that there are additional women who worked on the set of It Ends With Us who were made uncomfortable by Justin's quote-unquote unwelcome behavior and they confided in Blake Lively about it. One female co-star also allegedly reported her concerns about Baldoni to Sony, the film's distributor, and one of the movie's producers. Now Blake's attorneys say that instead of making adjustments on set to make these women feel more comfortable, Justin instead retaliated against Blake by hiring a crisis management team and running a smear campaign to ruin her reputation. So the story that I'm hearing is that there are two additional women that are going to hop onto this lawsuit with Blake, take her side, and then share their part of the story about how they were treated by Justin. I can't wait to hear it.

00:51:46 - 00:51:46 | Speaker 1:

Now we got action.

00:51:46 - 00:51:54 | Speaker 4:

And lastly, Tom Brady gifted his oldest son a $3 million watch.

00:51:55 - 00:51:56 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my good God.

00:51:56 - 00:51:56 | Speaker 4:

That's all.

00:51:57 - 00:52:01 | Speaker 2:

Put your wrist up. Don't look. You boys close your eyes, too. You see it. Don't look. Ben, are you closing your eyes?

00:52:02 - 00:52:03 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm closing my eyes.

00:52:03 - 00:52:04 | Speaker 2:

I see you peeking.

00:52:04 - 00:52:07 | Speaker 1:

Don't look. It feels shiny.

00:52:07 - 00:52:08 | Speaker 2:

Is it heavy, Benny?

00:52:08 - 00:52:08 | Speaker 4:

It feels shiny.

00:52:09 - 00:52:10 | Speaker 2:

It feels shiny. Okay, look.

00:52:10 - 00:52:15 | Speaker 4:

Whoa. I mean, I'll take a Shinola. Very expensive.

00:52:15 - 00:52:28 | Speaker 3:

But millions cheaper. That Petoskey birdie watch, this is how specific I am from Shinola, has been in my car for months at this point. I'm obsessed with that watch.

00:52:29 - 00:52:33 | Speaker 1:

They should give you one. Say it again. Say it again. Say it again.

00:52:33 - 00:52:34 | Speaker 4:

Shinola, if you're listening.

00:52:34 - 00:52:35 | Speaker 1:

Megan needs help with time.

00:52:36 - 00:52:50 | Speaker 4:

Petoskey 31 millimeter. Birdie, love you. For all of today's Dirty Ketchup on the podcast on the totally free iHeartRadio app or mojointhemorning.com. Celebrity Dirt, directly from the source, is Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:52:51 - 00:54:55 | Speaker 1:

Check out our Facebook page, facebook.com slash Mojo in the Morning. All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. So, I hate bringing up anything that makes me look bad. So, I don't bring this up and take it anything lightly. but one of Chelsea's friends told me that I was being very unattractive because I was very jealous of Chelsea, of a guy with Chelsea, okay? I get jealous when guys hit on my wife, Chelsea. As much as I love it, I'm a jealous person. And my wife is looking the finest that she probably has ever looked right now. Okay, Chelsea. She is like, she's getting ready for a big birthday. she's taking care of herself uh she's you know uh got no stress in her life because she's got me as her husband why does she need stress right and will you call up chelsea i don't know if she'll make an appearance on the show but she she may or may not this might be have to be a podcast topic though because of for the weekend podcast that yeah then then she can swear and say stuff But she just recently went back to her hometown of Tucson, Arizona, to go celebrate her friend's 50th birthday. And happy birthday to Jenny, who's the reason why Chelsea and I are together, because it was Jenny who was dating Kid Marconi, who was my roommate when I was doing night DJ stuff. And he was the guy that came on after me at 10 o'clock at night. and a kid met Jenny at a party and next thing you know, they started dating and now Chelsea and I are happily parents of three boys and, you know, been married for a little bit. Well, I still, even after being married to her for as long as I've been married to her, I still, for some reason, get jealous when she's around people that she grew up with, especially some of the guys that she grew up with. Chelsea, are you there?

00:54:55 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 3:

I am not doing that. Come on.

00:55:00 - 00:55:02 | Speaker 2:

If you are bringing up names, I'm not doing it.

00:55:02 - 00:55:03 | Speaker 3:

I will not bring up names.

00:55:04 - 00:55:05 | Speaker 2:

We are over that.

00:55:05 - 00:55:22 | Speaker 3:

We're not bringing up a name. I'm not going to say a name. But Leah said something the other day when she was with you. She said that I am very unattractive to you, that you're unattractive to me when I am jealous. When I show my jealous side, does it make me look less attractive?

00:55:22 - 00:55:26 | Speaker 2:

It's just old. It's just old. It's getting old.

00:55:26 - 00:55:33 | Speaker 3:

Why is it old? Well, Chels, first off, I don't know if you heard me. I know Lydia was calling you, but are you listening to the show this morning at all?

00:55:34 - 00:55:34 | Speaker 2:

No.

00:55:35 - 00:55:39 | Speaker 3:

Okay. You're listening to Joe, probably the Joe show. She chooses her son's show over this show.

00:55:39 - 00:55:42 | Speaker 2:

I'm not listening to anything. I'm tired because I just got back into town.

00:55:42 - 00:55:59 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Chelsea was just back in Tucson visiting her friends, and she was with all her high school friends. And by the way, I have to ask you a question. Did you look so much better than any of those girls that you went to high school with? Because you look seriously, you don't even you look like you could still be in high school right now.

00:56:00 - 00:56:05 | Speaker 2:

He's buttering you up because he really wants this story. Yeah, no, I'm not playing this game.

00:56:05 - 00:56:49 | Speaker 3:

I'm not trying to butter you up for the story. But I want to ask this question to the listeners. What makes your spouse unattractive? Because there actually is a story that I read because I Googled this. Does it make you look unattractive when you show your jealousy side? And you should see these stories that popped up. it's like i left my spouse because he was always jealous he was a jealous person i left all this i'm like oh jesus now i'm gonna be in trouble but um but i want to know what me what you put out in the universe what i'm not putting it what do you oh so i'm putting it because i'm putting this out in the universe it potentially could happen maybe what are you doing to me i'm locking

00:56:49 - 00:57:02 | Speaker 2:

you up and putting you in the basement stop i'm not it's so it really is annoying because it's like over 30 years ago and it's something that you still talk about you invited this is something

00:57:02 - 00:57:08 | Speaker 3:

from the past this is something that just happened in tucson it's her last boyfriend that she had

00:57:08 - 00:57:12 | Speaker 2:

oh god the guy that we've we've said his name i'm not gonna say it don't say it she doesn't want to

00:57:12 - 00:57:16 | Speaker 3:

i know i know but she she invited him to our own wedding i had to deal with the guy coming to my

00:57:16 - 00:57:29 | Speaker 2:

wedding for god's sakes but you're really good friends and if you've got to get this please i'm begging you for the sake of our marriage you've got to move past this i'm not bringing it

00:57:29 - 00:57:34 | Speaker 3:

up i've moved past it i'm moving i cannot do it anymore i'm comfortable talking about it on the

00:57:34 - 00:57:39 | Speaker 2:

radio that's how something fun don't call me about this no what do you what do you want to

00:57:39 - 00:57:44 | Speaker 3:

talk about that's fun did you have fun in uh in arizona was it fun being back i had a great time

00:57:44 - 00:57:45 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for asking.

00:57:45 - 00:57:49 | Speaker 3:

How great was it seeing some of the people that you haven't seen in a long time?

00:57:49 - 00:57:54 | Speaker 2:

It was great. It was really good. It was good seeing my family. It was good seeing friends. It was good.

00:57:55 - 00:58:07 | Speaker 3:

Is there, by the way, honestly, because I look at this. I look at guys that I went to school with from high school, and I try to judge whether or not I'm better looking than them right now. Do you do that?

00:58:07 - 00:58:10 | Speaker 2:

No, I don't do that. I think everyone looked really good.

00:58:10 - 00:58:17 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Some people age terribly. I know. Horrible, right? You look like, damn, I graduated with you. Lord, what are you ever with? I know.

00:58:18 - 00:58:22 | Speaker 2:

89? Sometimes I think my skincare routine is bad, and then I see other people, I'm like, I'm good. Yeah.

00:58:23 - 00:58:27 | Speaker 3:

I saw a dude at a liquor store the other day. I didn't even recognize him. They used to say we were twins.

00:58:29 - 00:58:33 | Speaker 2:

I think for the age that we're turning this year, everyone looked really good.

00:58:33 - 00:58:39 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. No, I think you guys all look great. Jenny looks great, too, and happy birthday again to her. What's up, Emily? Are you there?

00:58:41 - 00:58:41 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

00:58:42 - 00:58:46 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Emily. Emily, do I look unattractive right now because I'm jealous?

00:58:48 - 00:58:57 | Speaker 1:

Well, okay, I don't know about you, but I just have to say my boyfriend of 12 years and his family, they have, like, jealousy problems, and it is the most unattractive and annoying thing.

00:58:57 - 00:59:01 | Speaker 3:

Really? Explain. Like, what do you mean by that? What have they shown jealousy on?

00:59:02 - 00:59:15 | Speaker 1:

Well, it almost is hard to explain. You almost have to just be seeing it. Yeah. But they'll have tendencies where they feel like they're almost better than others, and it's so irritating. I mean, like, be happy for people. Be, you know what I mean?

00:59:15 - 00:59:18 | Speaker 3:

Oh, jealous over their success and money and things like that.

00:59:19 - 00:59:23 | Speaker 1:

Success, yes, yes. And it's very obvious, but I don't think it is to them. I don't think they know to do it.

00:59:23 - 00:59:51 | Speaker 3:

I don't get it. That does not make me jealous. Like, seeing somebody that's more successful than me or seeing somebody that, you know, does, you know. Actually, there's two things that make me jealous. Bobby Bones and all the success that he has. and Chelsea's former high school classmate. Those are the only two people that make me jealous. She chose you. Yes. Chelsea, you chose me. You chose me.

00:59:52 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 2:

You make me want to run into a hole and choose nobody. But what she said, though, that's what it is. It's not like

01:00:00 - 01:00:17 | Speaker 7:

you're jealous of a guy who paid her a compliment in a restaurant over the weekend this has been going on for three decades so it's been compounding and she's probably told you hundreds of times like that was my past you don't have to worry about this person and i know listen i know she's good

01:00:17 - 01:00:28 | Speaker 5:

friends with him right but she also said you guys have so much in common you guys should go golfing together that's what she said to me you guys go golfing together because you guys both love golf I'm like, oh, great. I got to spend four hours with the guy.

01:00:28 - 01:00:33 | Speaker 4:

He showed up in a golf outfit, and I died laughing, and I thought only if you were there.

01:00:34 - 01:00:37 | Speaker 5:

Who looks better in a golf outfit, me or him?

01:00:37 - 01:00:38 | Speaker 4:

What if you loved him?

01:00:39 - 01:00:48 | Speaker 5:

I probably would. Honestly, I think I would be good friends with him because I do remember when he came to our wedding. I thought he was actually very nice.

01:00:48 - 01:00:55 | Speaker 4:

He came to our wedding. He went to our kids' birthday parties. It's enough. Enough. There's nothing there.

01:00:55 - 01:00:56 | Speaker 5:

Listen.

01:00:57 - 01:00:57 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no.

01:00:59 - 01:01:08 | Speaker 5:

All I was fearful was Chelsea was going to come back and go, I think we're going to retire and live back in Tucson. I'm like, of course we are. What's going on, Mary? Are you there?

01:01:09 - 01:01:10 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I'm here, Mojo.

01:01:10 - 01:01:12 | Speaker 5:

Mary, say hello to my wife, Chelsea.

01:01:13 - 01:01:16 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Chelsea. I love you, honey. You're the best.

01:01:17 - 01:01:20 | Speaker 5:

Thank you. What about me? You know what?

01:01:22 - 01:01:48 | Speaker 2:

Listen, Chelsea, listen. I'm from Canada, and I listen to the show every day, and I get a good laugh. And I'm coming out of Costco, and I'm laughing my butt off when Mojo said if he looked good at other people from his past. Oh, my God. I can't stop laughing because you compare each other from your past. Do I look that old now? Am I that big now? You know, compared to, you know. Right. Our old age.

01:01:49 - 01:01:52 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. How are you looking compared to people from your past?

01:01:53 - 01:01:57 | Speaker 2:

You know what, Mojo? So I think I still got it going on. I mean, I got it. Good for you.

01:01:58 - 01:02:01 | Speaker 5:

You can hear it in her voice. I love it, Mary. We love you, Mary.

01:02:03 - 01:02:12 | Speaker 2:

Thank you so much. But you know what? It's what it is and how you present yourself. It's not about, you know, looks or anything. It's how you feel.

01:02:12 - 01:02:12 | Speaker 5:

I know.

01:02:14 - 01:02:15 | Speaker 2:

Ian's trying to hear that.

01:02:15 - 01:02:24 | Speaker 5:

I got to pull my shoulders back. I got to get my chest out. I got to present myself better. I'm a slouch. What's up, Zach? How you doing?

01:02:24 - 01:02:36 | Speaker 6:

Hey, Mojo, I just called in to tell you, die on that hill, bro. Don't butch. Don't butch. I'll respect you, bro. Don't do it, man. There's something there. He's waiting for you to die.

01:02:40 - 01:02:46 | Speaker 5:

By the way, if I die in Chelsea, you end up with him. I will haunt you.

01:02:47 - 01:02:53 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, haunt her like ghosts. Be Patrick Swayze. Oh, my God.

01:02:53 - 01:03:00 | Speaker 5:

Maybe, maybe, wait a second, is this guy, is this guy like the guy in the movie Ghost?

01:03:01 - 01:03:05 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, he has a part, he'll have a part in your death too, he's gonna kill you.

01:03:05 - 01:03:09 | Speaker 5:

Oh my god, I never thought about, do you guys all remember that movie Ghost?

01:03:09 - 01:03:11 | Speaker 7:

You gotta play Unchained Melody. Yeah.

01:03:11 - 01:03:13 | Speaker 5:

01:03:14 - 01:03:15 | Speaker 7:

01:04:56 - 01:04:58 | Speaker 5:

Are you going to be mad at Lydia for calling you?

01:04:59 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 4:

No.

01:05:00 - 01:05:34 | Speaker 3:

you come on all right i'll talk to you later i'll see you later today it's mojo on the morning show kevin may seem like a nice guy but he's a cheater hey when you started like this bro Next on the Inside Edition. I don't know. Kevin cheated on somebody that, by the way, is as bad as cheating on a relationship.

01:05:34 - 01:07:00 | Speaker 2:

Look, and I never thought ever in my life that I would break down and get to a state where I would cheat on my barber. But damn it, I did it. So, look, with good reason, though. So, Josiah has a lot of hair on his hair right now. And he got his hair twisted. And there's a girl named Ashley that sits right across from Daryl, my barber. And I talk to Ashley every time I go in there. Ashley, good people. Ashley, braid hair. Ashley, cool. So she's braiding up Josiah hair. And then I get into a conversation. Who the best barber in the barbershop? Who the worst barber in the barbershop? Everybody get quiet. Don't nobody want to name names. You know what I'm saying? Then they start naming names. And then Ashley says she was better than her. I'm like, Ashley, you don't cut hair. Stop playing. Every time I come in there, Ashley is braiding somebody's hair, flat iron curling, doing all of that. Never seen Ashley with clippers in her hair. I'm like, yeah, just stop playing. She's like, I'll probably cut your hair. I'm the best one that can cut your hair based on your texture. I'm like, stop playing. But isn't the money in braiding? I would think so. I mean, y'all know. Y'all hair would be $200, $300, $400. So she's like, based on your hair texture, I could cut your hair better than anybody in here. I'm like, put your money where your mouth is. And then, Ashley, you can cut it. Cut it then. So we started talking. And I said, you know what? I need a haircut this weekend. Hit up Daryl in a group chat. I'm like, bro, put me and Ashley in a group chat real quick. Ash, you're getting a rude chat. I'm like, Ash, what you doing Friday? She's like, I'm open two out of three. I'm like, bet. I'm pulling up. I pull up. Wait, you actually called him to ask for her?

01:07:00 - 01:07:02 | Speaker 3:

How else was I going to get her number?

01:07:03 - 01:07:12 | Speaker 2:

How else was I going to get her number? What does he think that you're calling her? I don't know. He said bet. And then he put us in a group chat. And then that's when I started asking my questions.

01:07:12 - 01:07:13 | Speaker 3:

You are bad.

01:07:13 - 01:07:26 | Speaker 2:

So look, so I pull up. First off, I'm not a male chauvinist. Let me start by saying that. I don't believe I am. And I pray to God I'm not, because I don't think this way. I've never considered allowing a woman to cut my hair.

01:07:26 - 01:07:26 | Speaker 1:

Why?

01:07:27 - 01:07:57 | Speaker 2:

I just didn't think that they would be sweet. Like, I thought a woman should do a woman's hair, and a guy knows a guy's hair, so he should do a guy's hair. Like, I've been in barbershops before, and I've seen women cut hair, and it looks nice. I just never thought that they could do a better job than a man. That's just where I was at in my journey, I guess. After this experience, I may never see Daryl again. Dog, first off, I'm talking about as soon as I sat in the chair, she was like, can I take your coat? I said, I've never been in a barbershop where they took my coat. She took my coat.

01:07:58 - 01:08:00 | Speaker 1:

You look like Josiah so much.

01:08:02 - 01:08:24 | Speaker 2:

She took my coat. From there, I was like, oh, this is a full-service experience. When you're in a barbershop and a guy needs to, like, get the back of your head, like the lying part, he'll just push your head down. She asked first. She was like, or she announced it. She's like, I'm going to put your head down. I was like, oh, she actually announced it? She shampooed it, massaged it, and then we took a shot at Takamo after whatever. Stop. Bruh, I'm done.

01:08:24 - 01:08:26 | Speaker 1:

Let me see your hair. Daryl, I'm done. Let me see your hair.

01:08:26 - 01:08:30 | Speaker 2:

I mean, it ain't as fresh as it was, but she went off. You are, by the way.

01:08:31 - 01:08:34 | Speaker 1:

So was Daryl there as Ashley's doing your hair?

01:08:34 - 01:08:41 | Speaker 2:

Was he giving you dirty looks? I mean, I'm like, Daryl, is she good? Like, I was still checking in with him just to make sure everything was looking nice.

01:08:41 - 01:09:47 | Speaker 3:

He co-sondered. Wait, it was like you were having a threesome. All you guys in the same room. hey there are a lot of people there real quick i just want you to know this you cannot cheat on your your hairstylist first off daryl gives us great content the guy is giving us more good breaks on this radio show i have no idea what ashley is like but ashley does not have the takes that daryl does daryl's takes go crazy that's for dan's show number one number two i almost cheated on katrina one time okay tell me about it because katrina travels the world She's like the hairdresser to the stars. She wasn't around. I went to George for one haircut. I actually reached out to Katrina to say, is it okay? Because I needed a haircut. So George, who owns the sex, he was fantastic. I can't go back to George. I go back to George. That Albanian woman will cut me. How did George do your hair, though? Did he do a fantastic job? I actually, I kind of liked it. It was actually nice. But Katrina's my girl. I can't cheat on her. I made a vow to Chelsea and Katrina. And my vow was to not, you know, go and mess around.

01:09:47 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 2:

I don't know, man. This experience, I mean, don't get me wrong. Daryl's amazing. He's been my guy for years. We have incredible conversation. But it's something about a woman being in my head that felt different. Like she must.

01:10:00 - 01:10:03 | Speaker 3:

Massage. She shampooed me, put a do-rag on. It was the whole thing.

01:10:03 - 01:10:04 | Speaker 2:

Did you?

01:10:05 - 01:10:08 | Speaker 3:

No, do not ask that question. Do I say it again?

01:10:08 - 01:10:11 | Speaker 2:

Did your hair stand on its straight ends?

01:10:11 - 01:10:13 | Speaker 3:

I mean, you know those little robes they put over you?

01:10:14 - 01:10:14 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:10:14 - 01:10:16 | Speaker 3:

It may have been a little rise in action in that way.

01:10:17 - 01:10:24 | Speaker 2:

You even got a robe. Wait, does Daryl give you a robe? Yeah, but you know what's crazy? He gives you a cape, right? He doesn't give you, like, full robe, does he?

01:10:24 - 01:10:50 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, they put the little thing on your neck. Yeah, hold on. I don't know if they do it in the six, but they got this little, I don't want to say it's a blow charge, but it blows out air to like dust all the hair that's falling off your face. Daryl, bro, I'm talking about Daryl blows that thing, pause straight in my face, like regardless of my eyes, regardless if I can breathe. He was over there cutting a little kid hair, I think because it was a single mom that was doing it. He covering the boy's eyes. He doing it all in the low mode. You don't be caring about this.

01:10:51 - 01:11:30 | Speaker 2:

Hey, real quick, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Do we have any barbers, hairstylists that are listening? Do you know when your clients cheat on you and they go somewhere else? They can tell that, right? Like you can tell somebody else has got, like, it's, it's like, uh, I, I remember Ashley Nix one time told me, she's like, you know how you tell if somebody is cheating on you, you smell their D and I'm like, wait a second. She would, she would always say she would always say that that's, that's, and I'm like, wait, hairstylist, do they smell your hair? what they do can they can they feel like somebody else's scissors are different craig what's going on craig wants to say women aren't the best at cutting your hair who are the best at cutting

01:11:30 - 01:11:53 | Speaker 4:

your hair craig so when uh when i've had the best haircuts it's been by gay men yeah they're good they're good yeah they well they they like you said with women i mean they i don't know it's They put that extra effort in, and it's definitely, I've had the best cuts by gay men.

01:11:53 - 01:11:57 | Speaker 2:

Where do you go to get your hair cut? Who's the salon?

01:11:57 - 01:12:01 | Speaker 4:

Now, I just go to great clips. I mean, I'm not.

01:12:01 - 01:12:05 | Speaker 2:

Okay, yeah. You're not going to see many gay men at great clips. This is not going to happen.

01:12:05 - 01:12:13 | Speaker 4:

Right, right. But when I did get my hair cut, like to really make it look good, gay men have done the best job.

01:12:13 - 01:12:28 | Speaker 2:

I think Kev's on to something here because it's funny. I think that there's a whole thing with Kevin in this. First off, I think that you're never going to be able to cheat on Daryl because Daryl is in the same salon as Ashley, right?

01:12:28 - 01:12:32 | Speaker 3:

Well, he just did. Yeah, they right across. You didn't cheat, actually.

01:12:32 - 01:12:32 | Speaker 2:

One time.

01:12:33 - 01:12:58 | Speaker 3:

Technically, you didn't cheat because you asked for permission and you did it right in front of him. I'm going back, though. I'm going back to Ashley, though, off-read. Because she said, let's just talk. There's a homie named TC that did my hair before I let Ashley do it because Daryl was out, so I grabbed TC. She said TC pushed my line back. So she had to, like, she was giving me information. I'm like, okay, we're going to double back because I need to see how she really is.

01:12:58 - 01:13:10 | Speaker 2:

But here's the thing, though. Kevin's going to have an affair with Ashley. But he's not going to full-on, like, have a relationship because you can't do it in the same salon. Like, it just doesn't happen that way.

01:13:10 - 01:13:18 | Speaker 3:

Honestly, I want to hit them all. That sounds crazy. I want to see who's the best barber in a barbershop. I want to get my hair cut by everybody. That's just the vibe I'm on.

01:13:18 - 01:13:27 | Speaker 2:

Hold on. Mystery's on to something. Mystery, what's going on? What do you think's going on with Kevin going to now this girl, Ashley? Hi, Mystery.

01:13:28 - 01:13:39 | Speaker 1:

Oh, hey. Yeah, I think maybe, you know, Kev, he went through his little separation or whatever. He might just be missing the touch and being taken care of by a woman. That's it. Oh. He needs a lady. That is an interesting take.

01:13:40 - 01:13:41 | Speaker 3:

Read me. Okay.

01:13:41 - 01:13:57 | Speaker 2:

Maybe it is. I don't know. Maybe Kevin just needs some female touch, and that's why he's interested in Ashley so much. It's not so much that she's great at what she does. It's just that he misses the girl touch, right?

01:13:58 - 01:14:01 | Speaker 3:

I don't think that's what it is, but we can entertain it.

01:14:02 - 01:14:03 | Speaker 2:

Maybe.

01:14:03 - 01:14:03 | Speaker 4:

You don't know.

01:14:04 - 01:14:09 | Speaker 2:

Listener Megan is a stylist. Where are you, Megan, where are you a stylist at? Plug your salon.

01:14:09 - 01:14:39 | Speaker 1:

i am a stylist at trico salon and spa in ann arbor hey what's happening so i can always tell when my clients are cheating on me um first of all they sit down and their faces get real red and i'm like okay they're either about to give me some dirt which they always do or then i start touching their hair and i'm like okay what happened and why why are we doing this so i can their cuts are either messed up or completely botched or like you can tell right

01:14:39 - 01:14:54 | Speaker 2:

away like the color is bad or off and uh yeah what's the biggest reason why somebody cheats is it that the availability or is it that somebody tells them or what is it no usually it's it's

01:14:54 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 1:

pretty much always the availability they're like oh i couldn't get in with you so i went to so and So at, you know,

01:15:00 - 01:15:12 | Speaker 8:

not so super cuts and like that's crazy i'm like so i'm like well now you got to pay extra so like just wait the extra week so you don't have to pay the extra money because now i got to do extra work

01:15:12 - 01:15:36 | Speaker 6:

to fix whatever's going on can i tell you i am the worst client for any of you guys and you can ask katrina this i never pre-plan i always go hey can you fit me into it and i feel bad she's excellent by the way and if she says no i understand it she's busy that she can't do it But I would be the worst client in the world, just like I'd be the worst person to ever have sex with. But I don't know.

01:15:36 - 01:15:46 | Speaker 5:

To that point, though, about it kind of dipping its toe in a relationship pool, is it one of those things where maybe you just want to try something new?

01:15:46 - 01:15:46 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:15:47 - 01:15:48 | Speaker 5:

Sometimes you need it.

01:15:49 - 01:16:14 | Speaker 6:

I had one time a listener said on the air one time, he said, you can't stay with the same vagina your entire life. Yeah. Raphael. It was a listener that said it. Remember his name? I don't remember his name. I don't think we ever put him back on the air after that. What's going on, Raphael? Hi. Raphael, are you there?

01:16:15 - 01:16:28 | Speaker 7:

Oh, yeah, I'm here. I'm sorry. I was kind of cut out for a minute. But, yeah, hey, Kev, it's not cheating if you're doing it in a shop, man. So if you're getting your hair cut by somebody other than your barber in the same shop, you're good.

01:16:28 - 01:16:31 | Speaker 6:

Okay. Is that like the guys that say...

01:16:31 - 01:16:41 | Speaker 7:

I own a shop out here in Phoenix, and my clients come in, and they tell me, like, hey, man, I just had to cheat on you, man. But I see it every time they sit down, though. I'm like, yeah, you went to somebody else, huh?

01:16:41 - 01:16:51 | Speaker 6:

Rafael, is that phrase, what you just said, it's not cheating if it's in the same shop? Is that like the guys that say, eating ain't cheating? When I hear guys say that all the time, I'm like, come on.

01:16:52 - 01:16:58 | Speaker 7:

Eating ain't cheating? If that's similar, yeah. It's crazy. It's very similar, okay. All right, I'm just making sure.

01:16:58 - 01:17:03 | Speaker 6:

It's crazy. Raphael, Shannon, Phoenix is calling us now.

01:17:03 - 01:17:10 | Speaker 3:

I know. Sorry, my heart just stopped that you just said that. Tony and Colleen, like, literally just walked by. Well, hello, guys.

01:17:11 - 01:17:21 | Speaker 6:

Hey, the iHeartRadio app is everywhere. Set us as a preset, Raphael, so that you don't have to listen to radio in Phoenix. Listen to Mojo in the morning, okay? If we're still here.

01:17:21 - 01:17:24 | Speaker 7:

Oh, yeah, I always do. I already got you guys set, man.

01:17:24 - 01:17:27 | Speaker 6:

Appreciate you so much. And shout out to Daryl. Daryl.

01:17:27 - 01:17:28 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God.

01:17:28 - 01:17:29 | Speaker 6:

We love you, Daryl.

01:17:29 - 01:17:34 | Speaker 2:

Watch Mojo's going to go to Daryl. He's going to cheat on Katrina just so we can still get content from Daryl.

01:17:34 - 01:17:44 | Speaker 6:

No, Katrina, by the way, gives me greatest stories and content, too. So this is good. So hairstylists are the greatest at getting prepped from. You know that with Kelly Sessey, right?

01:17:44 - 01:17:47 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. I love my Kelly. Kelly, don't worry. I'm not cheating on you. Ever.

01:17:47 - 01:18:02 | Speaker 6:

I don't know. I cheated on Kelly with Katrina. No, I won't. That was, yeah. I loved Kelly, too. WKQI Detroit. WSNX, Muskegon, Grand Rapids WVKS, Toledo This is Mojo in the Morning

01:18:02 - 01:18:04 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing

01:18:04 - 01:18:07 | Speaker 4:

Live Mojo

01:18:07 - 01:18:16 | Speaker 3:

5, 4, 3, 2, 1

01:18:16 - 01:18:20 | Speaker 5:

Ignition sequence start Let me take y'all back to the beginning

01:18:20 - 01:18:20 | Speaker 2:

This is it

01:18:20 - 01:18:21 | Speaker 6:

Alright, are you ready?

01:18:23 - 01:18:24 | Speaker 2:

You're listening to Mojo in the Morning

01:18:24 - 01:18:56 | Speaker 6:

You're a doo-doo hack Here we go, go, go, here we go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go

01:18:56 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 1:

expensive because at this point listen I'm very very happy that I live in downtown Detroit now it comes with so many great opportunities and experiences I'm very happy but it also comes with some very dumb things I have to be responsible for like paying for a parking spot makes me angrier than I can even explain the fact that I have to pay to park my car that's not even attached to my building it's blocks away and then walk to my apartment drives me up a wall so I was trying to justify i was doing some girl math trying to figure out how to essentially make my parking spot free because it makes me so angry and i decided the best way to do that because i'm so disappointed in streaming services is to just cut the cord on so many of them really and i have canceled i'm not kidding you me the girl who loves movies and television has canceled every single streaming service every one of them every single apple tv gone hulu gone netflix gone hbo gone Showtime. All of it. Gone, gone, gone, gone. Peacock, Parallel Plus. Are you surviving? Uh...

01:20:00 - 01:20:05 | Speaker 5:

so everything is gone you're being responsible that's amazing and i thought i was really gonna

01:20:05 - 01:20:21 | Speaker 3:

feel like i was missing out like especially during covid we all talked about the tiger king and joe there were show after show after show where everybody was watching and i was like man i'm gonna feel so out of the loop we have not had any of i don't feel like i'm missing out on

01:20:21 - 01:21:37 | Speaker 5:

anything yeah yeah there's actually that it's funny because somebody was telling me that because of that strike that happened the entertainment strike that happened that there's really not a lot to stream like nothing that's really that exciting to do yeah so it's funny that here you are you're cutting all this stuff out and you're really not missing it and this is from a woman and kevin this is i don't know if you knew this before you started on the show with us this woman literally we had to pry her away from her television just to show up to work i mean it was it was her her life support i agree so you know how like plants photosynthesize from the sun i did that in front of a tv yeah yeah before i had a baby that was me so i so i was wondering i mean and it's good that you say this i'm wondering from our listeners i wonder what is it that you just recently either got rid of or dumped what did you give up that suddenly has turned into you're saving a whole bunch of money because you did that because i hear different stories all the time of people that are like i have given up like you said the streaming services And then I'll hear another story. It's like, I have given up my morning coffee, and now I'm going and I'm making it at home. And then I'll hear how much money they're saving, which would you share with the listeners? How much money will you save by not having all the streaming services a month?

01:21:37 - 01:21:40 | Speaker 3:

Easily, I want to say $250.

01:21:40 - 01:21:42 | Speaker 5:

See, that's real money.

01:21:42 - 01:22:05 | Speaker 6:

The crazy thing about that is that was the point of having a streaming service because cable was so expensive. Now, all of a sudden, streaming service is more expensive than cable. And nine times out of ten, you only use five, especially like Hulu Live. The only reason I got that is so I can watch TNT for basketball, and that was really it. So there's really no a la carte service where I can be like, I only want TNT, HBO, and da-da-da-da-da.

01:22:06 - 01:22:06 | Speaker 5:

Cassandra, what's up?

01:22:07 - 01:22:08 | Speaker 2:

Hey, good morning.

01:22:08 - 01:22:09 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. What's going on?

01:22:11 - 01:22:15 | Speaker 2:

Especially since most of them are getting rid of password sharing now, I'm going to go back to cable.

01:22:16 - 01:22:36 | Speaker 5:

And honestly, it's wild. I'm doing deals now talking to my Xfinity of $20 a month. You know what I mean? And even if you do that for a few months, think of all the money that you're saving. And the problem is that, you know, a lot of times we thought that this was going to be so much savings. And like you said, you have to get like three of them because you've got three different shows.

01:22:36 - 01:22:40 | Speaker 6:

And they're all putting ads on now. It used to just be straight streaming.

01:22:40 - 01:22:41 | Speaker 5:

Dakota, what's up?

01:22:42 - 01:22:42 | Speaker 6:

Interrupted streaming.

01:22:43 - 01:22:51 | Speaker 1:

So Megan was just talking the other day about how her and her brother watched movies and stuff before the one award thing that it was.

01:22:51 - 01:22:52 | Speaker 5:

Before the Oscars, yeah.

01:22:52 - 01:23:06 | Speaker 1:

Her brother, why don't they just split subscriptions of, like, certain things that they may want or need? Because that's what I do with my mom. My mom pays for, like, half of her subscriptions. I pay for the other half. And then I'm not getting screwed out of all that money, and neither is my mom.

01:23:06 - 01:23:30 | Speaker 3:

So what I have found now is either the password sharing, it'll stop you, or it knows my IP address is in a different city. Like, my Hulu will straight up be like, this isn't where you live. I know that this isn't you. and it won't let you log in it's getting harder and harder to share those accounts and what i've noticed really is that it hasn't been that big of a deal i at the court i hate because i bought

01:23:30 - 01:23:49 | Speaker 5:

hulu for lu or for uh jacob and i want to watch hulu and it does the whole thing is this your home now and then it screws him when i do it they should they shouldn't you know they got too fancy on us money hungry kevin what'd you give up and uh and are you saving some money i am so i stopped

01:23:49 - 01:24:03 | Speaker 4:

eating out for lunch i would spend 20 to 30 bucks every lunch and i just went and bought like canned soup and stuff that i can eat in my office and spent i think like 25 bucks altogether for two

01:24:03 - 01:24:21 | Speaker 5:

weeks worth of food holy cow that's amazing that's actually good money by the way somebody sent us a door dash one you ready for this kevin you're talking about how much you're saving 419 says gave up DoorDash. I was spending $600 a month on DoorDash. Don't leave that out. Hey, Kev.

01:24:22 - 01:24:24 | Speaker 6:

Kev, what kind of soup we eat?

01:24:26 - 01:24:42 | Speaker 4:

You know, I got to go with that Campbell's Chunky, anything, whatever, who was it? Whatever Steve McNair's mom was showing her. That's what I got to have right there. Donovan McNabb, wasn't it?

01:24:42 - 01:24:43 | Speaker 5:

Donovan McNabb.

01:24:44 - 01:24:44 | Speaker 1:

Put it over some rice.

01:24:45 - 01:24:48 | Speaker 5:

Thanks. Gloria, what did you give up and how much are we saving?

01:24:49 - 01:25:00 | Speaker 1:

Oh, honestly, I haven't even added up how much I've been saving. But I gave up getting my nails done. It was like becoming a chore, and then it was like higher than my, like some of my.

01:25:00 - 01:25:22 | Speaker 3:

bills in my house it was crazy i just couldn't do it anymore i gave it up and how did the nails look yeah those claws looking i mean honestly really short and very natural which is fine by me and super plain like i haven't even put polish on them and honestly i can really care less turned in italians the nail shops are like super crazy high now leave my girl alone

01:25:22 - 01:25:26 | Speaker 1:

you look good you look great

01:25:26 - 01:25:57 | Speaker 2:

christy hi what did you give up christy hi um so in 2020 when covid happened i tried to upgrade my wi-fi and it didn't work out so i ended up cutting off my wi-fi um after my um my um satellite yeah sorry my satellite ended okay in 2021 so i haven't had wi-fi at home since

01:25:57 - 01:26:21 | Speaker 1:

2021 oh geez by the way you're brave that's the one thing i won't give up i'll give up my children before i'll give up my wi-fi it wasn't it wasn't her it was the sigma oh yeah like i'll be honest with you i'm gonna i'm gonna be quite honest with you i would rather give up driving around frivolously and save money on gas then give up my Wi-Fi. I need it because I can't get my cell service

01:26:21 - 01:26:25 | Speaker 3:

at home. Your house is very hard to get cell service at.

01:26:25 - 01:26:29 | Speaker 1:

I live in a bunker because I'm waiting for the world to end.

01:26:29 - 01:26:30 | Speaker 3:

Scott Mick?

01:26:31 - 01:26:44 | Speaker 1:

Kwan, are you there, Kwan? Yeah, I'm here. I'm going to grab you right after I grab this next one, so stay on me with me because yours has got to be the last one because this is the best one of them all, Kwan. Let me grab Michelle first, though. Kwan, say hello to Michelle.

01:26:45 - 01:26:46 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Michelle. Hi, Mojo.

01:26:47 - 01:26:49 | Speaker 1:

Hey, say hi to Quan. Hi, Quan.

01:26:50 - 01:26:52 | Speaker 4:

How you doing? I'm good.

01:26:52 - 01:26:56 | Speaker 1:

Good. Michelle, tell everybody what you gave up and how much money you're spending or saving.

01:26:56 - 01:27:16 | Speaker 4:

I was spending over $200 a month on Starbucks. Every day I would get me a venti caramel macchiato with an extra shot. My husband was so over it. The last Amazon Prime Day, he bought me the nicest espresso machine. Now I go to Starbucks, I buy the big caramel sauce, and I make my own caramel macchiatos every morning.

01:27:16 - 01:27:27 | Speaker 1:

Look at that, $200 a month. Now, check this one out, Michelle. We're talking about how much money people are saving by giving things up. Kwan, tell all of us, what did you give up?

01:27:28 - 01:27:30 | Speaker 4:

Going to the strip club.

01:27:31 - 01:27:33 | Unknown:

Why? Why?

01:27:34 - 01:27:38 | Speaker 4:

Well, good for you, bud. It was fun, but expensive.

01:27:38 - 01:27:49 | Speaker 1:

Kwan, was it the ladies or the lamb chops? No, it was the ladies. How much money are you saving right now? I got to jam up a couple thousand every month.

01:27:50 - 01:27:56 | Speaker 3:

There's no ROI there. What was her name, Kwan? What was her name? Wait, Kwan, do you need a personal stripper? I can stop by your house.

01:27:57 - 01:28:02 | Speaker 1:

I take checks. He got the at-home Keurig stripper.

01:28:04 - 01:28:06 | Speaker 4:

I wonder if they wondered where you went.

01:28:08 - 01:28:25 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, Kwan, have they put out an APB looking for you right now? Somebody's student loan isn't getting paid right now. By the way, Kwan, there are certain things in life that you need to have to keep your motor running. Thousands of dollars in strippers a month?

01:28:26 - 01:28:29 | Speaker 3:

I work for Ford, so we definitely keep the motors running.

01:28:31 - 01:29:03 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning Show. Chelsea got back into town last night. It's so nice, by the way, having her back. She's been spending time with her mom and dad out west in Tucson, Arizona. And I got to be quite honest with you. I sleep so much better just knowing that she's there, even to the point that when she's out of town, by myself, I arrange the pillows that normally are just like the decorative pillows on the bed to look like she's actually laying next to me in the bed.

01:29:03 - 01:29:04 | Speaker 3:

Are you the big spoon or the little spoon?

01:29:05 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 1:

Well, what do you think? Little. My wife's the little and I'm the big. Absolutely, yeah. But here's the part, though, though, of, though, though. I'm a though, though guy. Here's the part that gets a little bit weird, though. And I don't share this very much, but I have, like, really bad OCD. Like, I become a little crazy with certain things that I do. And I don't know if any other listeners get faced with any kind of OCD. If you do, share with me so I feel less weird. But I cannot leave the house in the morning without flushing the toilet three times. And it's to a point that even if I go pee and I don't actually do a number two, I have to flush the toilet three times. So every time that I do this, Chelsea instantly thinks,

01:30:00 - 01:31:22 | Speaker 4:

that I have just dropped the biggest duty in the world because I'm flushing three times. And finally this morning, after all these years of marriage and after all these years of doing this, she said to me, is your stomach bothering you? Like finally said something to me and I go, no. And she goes, I heard you flush like three times. And I said, I have like OCD, I can't do it. Like I do a couple of different things that are OCD driven. And for some reason, three is always the thing that I do, but I flush three times when I take my glasses off. So I wear glasses, you know, cause I got contacts normally that I wear. I, when I take them off, I don't just take them off and fold them up and put them down. I take them off and I go one, two, three. So I move the arms right first, left, right first, left, right first, left. And I do it three times and then put it in the glasses case or put them up on the counter. and I do that three times too and it's weird and I don't know why it is that I do it I have no clue but I have to do it and if I don't do it like if I don't flush the toilet three times I have driven off of my property I've literally been down the street at the stop sign at the corner of our road and I've gone crap I didn't flush the toilet three times I've gone back because for some reason I think that the toilet's gonna overflow or something like that and I'm gonna have a flood when I come home

01:31:22 - 01:31:23 | Speaker 2:

but you don't do it here

01:31:24 - 01:32:13 | Speaker 4:

I don't do it here, no. I only do it at my house. Has it happened before, and that's why you do it? Mike, one time I did not flush. I'm not kidding you. The third time, and I wait for it to completely finish and go, and then that little tank in the back fell up, and I came home, and I had water on my thing because my toilet, for some reason, it was weird. I don't know. It was one time it just had a little leak, and I had water all over the place. And that ruins everything. And it made me think to myself, well, if I would have done it three times. But it's weird how that happens. And listen, I will say this to you. It's a weird thing that I do. I don't think it's hurting anybody. I mean, it maybe causes my water bill to go up a little bit. But it's just weird how that happens. Do any of you guys have OCD?

01:32:13 - 01:32:22 | Speaker 3:

I don't know if it's OCD, but, like, when I look at something, like, we have Mojo in the morning in here. We got Channel 955. I have to rearrange the letters in alphabetical order.

01:32:23 - 01:32:25 | Speaker 2:

That is crazy, really.

01:32:25 - 01:32:29 | Speaker 3:

Like mojo, I'm going J-M-O-O. You do that in your head?

01:32:29 - 01:32:30 | Speaker 2:

And you do it with everything.

01:32:30 - 01:32:30 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, with everything.

01:32:31 - 01:32:33 | Speaker 2:

No, that would drive me nuts. That's really interesting, Cub.

01:32:34 - 01:32:37 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Huh. So you do it in your head doing that? Just yourself?

01:32:37 - 01:32:38 | Speaker 2:

No matter where I'm at.

01:32:38 - 01:32:42 | Speaker 4:

With everything that you do. Like, what do you do if you go to New York City and it's Times Square?

01:32:43 - 01:32:51 | Speaker 3:

CJV, if it's JVC. Really? And then I do this thing with my fingers where I go, like, pinky, index, ring, thumb, middle. Like, it's like a diagonal thing.

01:32:51 - 01:33:13 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Yeah. I color coordinate everything. Everything. Every closet. Anything I can color coordinate, I color coordinate. So, like, all my clothes, all that stuff. And then I, even though, like, there are certain parts of my house that are cluttery, I even do it here. It's lined up. Does my area kill you? Yeah.

01:33:14 - 01:33:15 | Unknown:

Your area drives me nuts.

01:33:15 - 01:33:32 | Speaker 2:

So, like, my phone is lined up with my iPad and the mouse. Oh, I feel so bad. If I haven't used the mouse and, like, my waters. I can have, like, eight mugs over here and they're all lined up. You see my pencil? Yeah. It just needs to all be, like, linear. It has to be there. I'm sorry. You're, it's a dumpster behind your computer.

01:33:33 - 01:33:36 | Speaker 4:

What do you do, though, in the case, Shannon, where you're, you know, you got.

01:33:36 - 01:33:38 | Speaker 2:

My kid stuff, it drives me crazy.

01:33:38 - 01:33:42 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, what if they pick something out of the, out and put something in the wrong spot?

01:33:42 - 01:33:53 | Speaker 2:

It's interesting, and Wes can attest to this, when it's my week to have my kids, like, I have to kind of give it up a little bit. But the second they're gone on Sunday, because that's when we transition them, everything goes back to order.

01:33:54 - 01:34:02 | Speaker 4:

Wow. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. What's your OCD thing, Jeff?

01:34:03 - 01:34:22 | Speaker 1:

All right. So, like, I have the same thing, except it's not my own house. It's actually when I'm in a public urinal. Like, at work, I will wait until anybody leaves the restroom, and I will flush the urinal, like, five times, make sure the water's clear, it doesn't have an aroma. I just, I have to do it.

01:34:22 - 01:34:26 | Speaker 4:

Do you do it prior to peeing or after you pee?

01:34:27 - 01:34:39 | Speaker 1:

Actually, if I'm in there just to wash my hands, I will literally check and just see if, like, if there's still yellow in the urinal, I will compulsively flush it until it's gone, it's clear, usually five times exactly.

01:34:39 - 01:34:44 | Speaker 4:

Do people ever look at you weird, like when they're coming into the bathroom and you're still in there, like flushing away?

01:34:46 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I mean, I usually wait till everybody's gone, but I did have one time when somebody was stealth in the stall and came out and just kind of looked at me because I was flushing the three urinals that we had.

01:35:00 - 01:35:03 | Speaker 4:

And I just kind of was like, oh, okay, I'm finishing, and then I'm leaving.

01:35:04 - 01:35:04 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Casey?

01:35:05 - 01:35:21 | Speaker 4:

Hello. Hi. So the weird thing I do is I have to flush the toilet before I use it, and then I have to flush it twice when I'm done. And my husband was like, why is our water bill $20 more this month? And I was like, um.

01:35:22 - 01:35:27 | Speaker 1:

So you actually do see it go up? Because I've not really checked the water bill to see if it happens a lot.

01:35:27 - 01:35:49 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, he's like, why is it $20 more? And I was like, I don't know, maybe the kids, but it's me. It's like I cannot. Before I sit down, I have to flush, and when I get done, I have to flush twice. But I have to wait for it to completely do its cycle to re-flush it again. And I cannot sit down on the toilet until it finishes its cycle. So when I flush it before I use, I have to wait, and then I use the bathroom, and then I have to flush it twice.

01:35:50 - 01:36:20 | Speaker 1:

Wow, that's wild. I'm telling you, when you have a spouse that's sitting there listening to the flushes, it's embarrassing because you just want to say to them i'm sorry this is my ocd what's going on hey what's up second time today i'm lucky how do we have no listeners today how did we get you through on the phone line twice shay all day no i'm just a great commenter i mean what can i okay all right all right i'll give that to you so i have lots of things but a big thing is i can't

01:36:20 - 01:36:45 | Speaker 6:

get out of the bed if it's not an even number so if it's like 701 i have to wait to 702 like i only get out of bed on even numbers oh i would go back i didn't know that i see that do you set your alarms then at even numbers too yes absolutely even if i'm taking a nap anything like that i cannot if even if i need to be out like by 7 15 i'll just round it up to like 16 like it has to

01:36:45 - 01:36:51 | Speaker 1:

be even isn't it wild that it takes forever then for the clock to tick to that next even number

01:36:51 - 01:37:18 | Speaker 6:

you're just laying there watching it like come on turn turn turn but how long have you been doing so long yeah a long probably like my whole adult life since i've been you know obviously your parents waking you up and stuff but yeah definitely my whole adult life even if i like you know randomly wake up you know what i'm saying how your body naturally wakes up and it's like and so i had it you know i didn't say it that one time and i like it's 601 like i'm gonna wait

01:37:18 - 01:37:36 | Speaker 1:

to 602 like i can't man that's wild that i you know what i could see that it would throw your day off otherwise what's up sarah how you doing good thanks how are you good i'm looking up here and i'm like oh my god i do this too sarah would tell everybody what you do i count everything

01:37:36 - 01:37:46 | Speaker 5:

I have to make sure everything is the right amount. Yes. I have a cubby unit, and I have to count my baskets all the time to make sure I have enough baskets in there.

01:37:46 - 01:37:47 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:37:47 - 01:37:55 | Speaker 5:

My light switches, I turn them off, and I have to count them. I count my pictures on the wall. I just have to count everything.

01:37:55 - 01:38:02 | Speaker 1:

And what is the – does the count have to add up for you, or you just count them? You just get them done, and once you're done counting, you're done?

01:38:03 - 01:38:04 | Speaker 5:

I'm done counting when I'm done.

01:38:05 - 01:38:15 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. See, the light switches part that's weird for me is I flick them on, flick them off, flick them on, flick them off, you know, three times. My count is always three. I have to do it three times.

01:38:15 - 01:38:19 | Speaker 5:

Three times, yeah. I try to make everything even.

01:38:20 - 01:38:21 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I hate even numbers.

01:38:21 - 01:38:23 | Speaker 5:

When I'm counting, yeah.

01:38:24 - 01:38:31 | Speaker 1:

It's wild that, you know, these are all, listen, we all have OCD moments. And it's wild that we even talk about this.

01:38:31 - 01:38:31 | Speaker 2:

I don't.

01:38:31 - 01:38:32 | Speaker 1:

You don't have any?

01:38:32 - 01:38:43 | Speaker 2:

I can't think of one thing I do. I live in a constant state of chaos. And, I mean, Lydia can attest to this. I constantly have just everywhere. I would leave my head here if it wasn't attached.

01:38:44 - 01:38:50 | Speaker 1:

You know what your OCD is? What is it, Kev? You have to eat the smelliest food. Yeah. That is true. That's not an OCD thing. That is true.

01:38:50 - 01:39:00 | Speaker 2:

Your food has to stay. I think everybody on this show can attest that I have no timeline. I constantly show up at the most randomest times with the most randomest food.

01:39:00 - 01:39:03 | Speaker 3:

You're at 5.15 a.m. and you're eating, like, pasta and meatballs. Literally.

01:39:03 - 01:39:15 | Speaker 1:

But it's not even so much, honestly, it's not even so much that you're, you know, the latent and all this stuff. Is there certain things that you have to, like, it has to match up? You don't have that at all? No. Like, where everything has to, like, look a certain way or have to be a certain way?

01:39:15 - 01:39:20 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I'm pretty, my space is, like, decorated a certain way, but I wouldn't say it's, like,

01:39:20 - 01:39:37 | Speaker 1:

Have you ever been in bed at night and thought that you'd left the stove on and had to go back and then kind of, like, keep on? See, I do that all the time. I have that fear all the time that I left the gas on or something like that, and I have to go back and kind of like fidget with it a bunch what's up christy hello hi hey what's up

01:39:37 - 01:40:19 | Speaker 3:

i have uh so many ocds it's ridiculous but from starting with like going to the bathroom in public i always have to take one to two arm lengths of toilet paper and throw it out before i go to use any toilet paper because i know that's like one of the biggest germ catchers yeah um i wash my hands with like super hot water till my hands tingle so that's crazy um i Peace. don't let anybody like eat or drink after me yeah and my kids are ridiculous with that they're like to like mess with me all the time they're like hey i'm thirsty can i have a sip right after i open my like pop or my water and they know that's like my biggest thing so then that's gone it's theirs it's just take it it's not mine i don't want no more can't touch it and i mean there's

01:40:19 - 01:40:35 | Speaker 4:

so many things see i always i'm listening to these things going yeah that's all sound normal that'll sound very rational um this is one that happens to you and maybe you don't think you have ocd but you might ash or alice when you go to a gas station what happens i have to go to a even

01:40:35 - 01:40:43 | Speaker 2:

number pump unless it's number one then i'll go to that but i'll wait oh wow mine mine mine is i

01:40:43 - 01:40:50 | Speaker 4:

have to go to one three or seven and if i don't have one three or seven i will wait for the pump

01:40:50 - 01:41:01 | Speaker 2:

to be done yeah me too but i like seven two one and seven other than that has to be an even number I don't know why. See, I always looked at these as, like, lucky numbers.

01:41:01 - 01:41:09 | Speaker 4:

I never looked at it as, like, an OCD thing. Alice, do you ever have to stop at the right amount, and if you don't get it to the right amount, you'll try to actually, like, go to the next number?

01:41:10 - 01:41:12 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yes. Yep, for sure.

01:41:13 - 01:41:29 | Speaker 4:

Like, if you're going to try to put down, like, you know, $12 in gas in your car, which nobody does just $12 unless that's all they got in their pocket. But you do $12, and it goes to 1201, you're like, ah, then you got to go, yeah, and you go to the next one. Try to click, click, click. Yeah, exactly. It throws you off.

01:41:29 - 01:41:33 | Speaker 2:

Above your station, I listen to you every day. I'm trying to win that $1,000.

01:41:33 - 01:41:40 | Speaker 5:

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Melinda, is this your first time calling? This is Alice. Alice, is this your first time calling?

01:41:40 - 01:41:52 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Yeah, no, I've called before about wanting to talk Rob at a shoe store I worked at when you guys were talking about crimes and stuff. Somebody had a boyfriend who I thought they'd think they were the criminal or something like that.

01:41:53 - 01:41:58 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. That was a while back. Why, were you going to do a first-time caller, a long-time listener for her?

01:41:58 - 01:41:58 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:41:59 - 01:42:14 | Speaker 4:

Do you know that I have to, when I do the thing, I have to hit it three times on the thing, too? Really? Yeah. I have to do it three times when I hit that thing. All right. It's just a weird thing. We're just weird people. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:42:17 - 01:42:17 | Speaker 5:

Dirty.

01:42:19 - 01:42:20 | Speaker 1:

I'm so fancy today.

01:42:20 - 01:42:21 | Speaker 5:

I like it.

01:42:23 - 01:43:30 | Speaker 1:

All right. I'm starting off with a Kanye story. He made a big announcement on X yesterday. He said he is not a Nazi. Last night, Ye took to X to share that, quote unquote, after further reflection, he said he has come to the realization that he is not a Nazi. And that's all the tweets said. And that post obviously comes after some very highly controversial tweets on X earlier this month. And then that whole thing, the Super Bowl ad that led you to the Yeezy.com website that had a swastika t-shirt for $20 that he was selling. So, yeah, that's the latest in that drama. Irv Gotti's funeral held in Queens yesterday. His good buddy and his artist, Ja Rule, paid tribute to the music mogul who brought him and DMX and Jay-Z, among others, to Def Jam Records, essentially saving that label in the mid to late 1990s. jay-z was also there paying his respects important to note other guests included ashanti lloyd fat joe benny boom angie martinez got he died on february 5th correct me if i'm wrong we still

01:43:30 - 01:43:34 | Speaker 5:

don't know how he died right yeah i don't think we heard anything i don't think the family has come

01:43:34 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 1:

out and yeah i know he had a stroke a year or two ago um so i don't know if this was a complication from that but still no official cause of death an update on a big local story in the detroit area For our Detroit listeners, a 34-year-old Pontiac woman named Kelly Bryant charged yesterday with three counts of first-degree child abuse for abandoning her three children in 2020 and forcing them to live alone in absolute filth for more than four years. In what officials are describing as an unimaginable case of abuse and neglect, Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said this is the worst of the worst that she has ever seen. The children, ages 12, 13, and 15, living in what officials described as horrifying living conditions. The toilet didn't work. Feces found throughout the home. Garbage piled as high as four feet in some rooms. Two of the children slept on pizza boxes this morning. They released video of authorities walking through the home. There's a warning on there, a viewer discretion warning, because it is horrifying. Now, this mom concealed all of this from her family and friends, although I am hoping that's investigated because friends and family knew she had kids. But what? They just never saw them, never asked about them for almost five years? Or did she pick them up and...

01:45:00 - 01:45:16 | Speaker 4:

take them to they said that they had never left they had never stepped outside except on two occasions the boy came out to check the mail and because he wanted to touch the grass so since 2020 nope nothing they literally were told do not leave the home how did the school district

01:45:16 - 01:45:23 | Speaker 3:

not report i don't know how did it fall through so many cracks yeah yeah um mom is currently jailed

01:45:23 - 01:45:26 | Speaker 4:

she faces up to life in prison if convicted.

01:45:27 - 01:45:28 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I got questions.

01:45:29 - 01:46:20 | Speaker 4:

So many questions. Zach, I'm going to need another clip on here, but first I want you to play this theme song. Do you guys remember? I think this more so applies to older millennials, but do you guys remember being on your couch on a Friday night and hearing this on your TV? we're gonna have some fun show you how it's done tgif i loved it kev it was oh yeah it was full house family matter step by step they threw in dinosaurs at one point step by step was low key same okay they changed it up a little bit but what does tgif stand for thank god it's friday it does not it don't no so the guy who created tgif did a podcast interview yesterday I mean, this changes my life.

01:46:21 - 01:46:36 | Speaker 1:

We were literally standing by in a post house about to execute on that because time was ticking. So that's where the name came from. It was and Bob, I believe, came up with, thank goodness, it's funny to avoid any conflict with any restaurant.

01:46:36 - 01:46:40 | Speaker 4:

It's thank goodness it's Friday. It's not. It's thank goodness it's funny because they didn't.

01:46:40 - 01:47:12 | Speaker 3:

Well, that makes sense, though, because it's got to be written. That's why. But. This entire time. But also, no. For decades. But also, how did they get that copy written, TGIF? I have so many questions. I don't know, but my whole childhood, it feels like a lie. Well, it's a lie because I don't think it ever existed because I've never heard that theme song. I've never heard of this lineup. Really? No. You've never heard of Full House? Well, no, I've heard of Full House. Family Matters? I didn't watch Family Matters. That was before me. Oh, God. That was before me.

01:47:12 - 01:47:13 | Speaker 4:

And slow and Urkel.

01:47:13 - 01:47:35 | Speaker 3:

Like, I know it because it's like an icon, but I didn't watch it. That's crazy. Patrick Duffy on Step by Step was a hot dad. I know the theme song to Step by Step, and that is it. I remember the Let's Watch a Disney Channel movie that would play on Fridays. Let's watch a Disney Channel movie. We want to watch a Disney Channel movie. That was mine.

01:47:35 - 01:47:41 | Speaker 4:

For all of today's dirty catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

01:47:42 - 01:47:47 | Speaker 2:

Shannon, I think we should open this up for a little discussion now with the listeners.

01:47:47 - 01:47:53 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Ooh, we have a judge in the studio. We got the ass. Ew, wait a second. I might hit you out.

01:47:54 - 01:48:06 | Speaker 2:

Judge Laura, I'm, by the way, syndicating her show. We're going to syndicate it to people all over the place. All right, well, Shannon has a relationship-ishy type of question. What is it, Shannon?

01:48:07 - 01:49:17 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so my husband, Wes, and I have a little disagreement right now. and this is actually very much a testament and a compliment to him he i don't know what it is he has been looking so amazing yummy whatever word you want to be very good very hot lately in my opinion and i can't stop very genuinely complimenting him um it's the hair it's the way he's dressing he's like really taking the time to like work on his wellness and working out and all those things. Okay. And I love complimenting him because I know that it builds him up. And as his wife, I like, you know, being the person to build him up. Well, here's the problem. He says compliments equal sex. So if we don't have sex after a day full of me complimenting him, he says that I have basically given him false hope and my argument is that i am not giving him compliments to like build up something that's going to happen later in the day i'm giving him compliments because i genuinely mean all of the compliments about those specific things i'm not trying to like butter him

01:49:17 - 01:49:28 | Speaker 2:

wait first off he can't just leave this may be the most uh interesting relationship ever you want sex more than he wants sex is that what he's saying or no because most guys most guys compliment their

01:49:28 - 01:49:39 | Speaker 4:

wives to try to get sex preach but i'm not complimenting him to get sex but i am complimenting him to compliment him and he's like well if you're giving me all of these compliments then

01:49:39 - 01:49:44 | Speaker 2:

then he's got to give it up then i have to give it up oh then you have to oh do you see what i

01:49:44 - 01:49:50 | Speaker 4:

mean so he's saying speaking the same love language yes yes yeah so he's saying that if

01:49:50 - 01:49:54 | Speaker 2:

you're going to give all this compliments it's getting him excited yes and he still wants to

01:49:54 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 4:

have yes and i'm saying i'm giving you the compliments because i want to give you the compliments like i genuinely

01:50:00 - 01:50:08 | Speaker 1:

mean what i'm saying to you okay but it's not like i'm giving you the compliments because there's some like underlying like i'm trying to get him you're making it feel good it's interesting

01:50:08 - 01:50:35 | Speaker 3:

because compliments do make you exactly horny you know what i mean they make you excited and so as a guy as a guy sometimes compliments are even better than sex right i mean i don't know i'm not going that far no you're not going that far but i think as a it's nice that you compliment the guy i still say you're just newlyweds and that's why it's still at this point but um but comp you know and west take them but uh that's that's a very interesting uh thing

01:50:35 - 01:50:59 | Speaker 4:

i get where west is coming from when you give someone a compliment it ignites some type of flame inside of their body yeah and for west the flame is burning lower what do you mean he's getting excited when you say he looks good and probably in his mind is like oh how good do I must look that good where you want to rip these clothes off. Judge, you've been married

01:50:59 - 01:51:08 | Speaker 3:

for 10 years. Do you still compliment your man? Absolutely. Does he still give you compliments all the time, too? Yeah. Okay, so do you give it up then after the compliments, or what do you guys do?

01:51:09 - 01:51:17 | Speaker 5:

I really wasn't prepared to talk about my sex life on the radio, but we have a great relationship. Everything's

01:51:17 - 01:51:21 | Speaker 4:

good. Do you leave the robe at work, or does the robe come home? Yeah, well, I have

01:51:21 - 01:51:22 | Speaker 5:

one at home and one at work.

01:51:22 - 01:51:29 | Speaker 3:

Hey, bring the gavel out. I like it. All right. We got to, by the way, she's still a judge. We got to treat her with respect, Kevin.

01:51:29 - 01:51:30 | Speaker 5:

Oh, thank you, Kevin. Respectfully.

01:51:32 - 01:51:45 | Speaker 3:

But we'll talk to Vito later. We'll ask him a little later. Go back to Wes and Shannon here for a second. So, Shannon, when you give him all these compliments, your intention is you want to make him feel good, right? Or you're being truly honest with him, right?

01:51:46 - 01:51:47 | Speaker 1:

Both. Both of those things, yeah.

01:51:48 - 01:51:53 | Speaker 3:

But do you find yourself then pulling back the compliments, knowing that you're going to have to have sex?

01:51:53 - 01:52:14 | Speaker 1:

Well, that's what I said to him. I go, well, then I'm not going to compliment you anymore. Oh, you can't hold out. Because then I don't want it to be an expectation, right? Like, if I'm going to compliment you all day, because I really mean what I'm saying, but then I don't want you to feel let down if I fall asleep at 930 watching The Perfect Couple because I'm exhausted after the day. Do you know what I mean?

01:52:14 - 01:52:36 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. If you, in your relationship, have something like this happening to you where you throw out just a nice little compliment, because Chelsea will do this sometimes. Chelsea will say something to me that, like, well, she'll be like, she'll be like, oh, my God, you look really good in that shirt. I'm like, I'll take my pants off right now and keep the shirt on.

01:52:36 - 01:53:04 | Speaker 4:

You know what I mean? How are you saying it? Because tone matters and physiology matters. If you're walking past, because it's sometimes where, like, you know, I don't walk past her or whatever like that. She's like, damn, okay. Now, if you say it like that, to me, that's an invitation. That's more than a compliment. Yeah. How are you saying this? What do you mean, how am I saying this? I mean, are you rubbing his chest while you're saying it? Pinching his ass while you're saying it? Or are you just like, oh, I like how your hair looks? Both.

01:53:04 - 01:53:05 | Speaker 3:

All right, then.

01:53:05 - 01:53:06 | Speaker 4:

That's why he expected me.

01:53:06 - 01:53:17 | Speaker 3:

So you understand that if you're saying it in a tone of voice that sounds like you want to have sex, You've got to be careful of that. So you almost have to do it like, hey, you look great today.

01:53:17 - 01:53:19 | Speaker 1:

I really like your hair, too.

01:53:20 - 01:53:27 | Speaker 5:

More monotone. It looks so good. Like, just give him a fist bump. Yeah, a fist bump. Those pants are cool.

01:53:27 - 01:53:35 | Speaker 3:

By the way, this judge is getting kinky talking about fist bumping here in the studio. Ashton, what's going on, Ashton?

01:53:36 - 01:53:56 | Speaker 2:

Hi. I just wanted to comment on this. I truly feel like men take compliments in a sexual way, whereas they are getting, like, to the point where women just are like, oh, yeah, thank you for this compliment. Men are, they want to get in bed.

01:53:56 - 01:54:03 | Speaker 3:

Well, everything equals sex to a guy. It's very interesting. Food equals sex to a guy. Mowing the lawn equals sex to a guy.

01:54:04 - 01:54:06 | Speaker 2:

Exactly. I totally agree with that.

01:54:06 - 01:54:14 | Speaker 3:

I'm telling you, I think if I see Chelsea walk into the room and just look at me, it makes me think maybe I might be getting some.

01:54:15 - 01:54:18 | Speaker 2:

Exactly. My husband is the same way.

01:54:18 - 01:54:26 | Speaker 3:

I don't know what that is, though. Why were we born so different? And why is that? Why is it that us guys, like, we get excited when the wind blows?

01:54:26 - 01:54:27 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. No, you're absolutely correct.

01:54:28 - 01:54:29 | Speaker 3:

You know?

01:54:29 - 01:54:37 | Speaker 4:

It's something psychological. Because I think every woman is hitting on me at times. Well, listen, in my brain is something crazy.

01:54:37 - 01:54:44 | Speaker 2:

I just feel like men's brains are just completely different. Like, they just view, they can view a tree sexually.

01:54:44 - 01:54:56 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. Look, there's some thick-ass trees on here. All day, every day. Great example, Kev. Today, I complimented your blue jacket. I don't want to have sex with you, Kev. No, no, no, no. I don't. So, perfect example.

01:54:56 - 01:55:09 | Speaker 4:

I didn't think you did. Like, because it was your tone. and the way that you said it if you had said it differently then I would have been like oh yeah Shannon trying to you know yeah you married so I'm not Joanne

01:55:09 - 01:55:12 | Speaker 5:

Joanne what's going on

01:55:12 - 01:55:29 | Speaker 1:

well I was married for 20 years and I my ex-husband used to pet my hair like I'd be in bed and he'd come and pet my hair like a little puppy and I'd be like don't you ever want to have sex anymore because we had a lot of kids and he goes yeah I came and pet your hair the other night didn't you know that that's what I

01:55:29 - 01:55:33 | Speaker 5:

That was his indication to you that he wanted to have sex? That's horrible.

01:55:33 - 01:55:40 | Speaker 1:

He's got no moves. I guess that's why we're not married. Wait, can I find out? I came and pat your hair the other night.

01:55:41 - 01:55:58 | Speaker 5:

Who are these guys that are like this? I hear these all the time from different listeners of ours where the women will say that they've been married to a guy that does not want to have sex. I don't know who these men are. They've got to be getting it from somebody else or they're possibly, maybe they're confused. I don't know.

01:55:59 - 01:56:04 | Speaker 4:

Sometimes. Maybe it's low testosterone. They got a lot of stuff going on. They just, their libido ain't hot no more.

01:56:04 - 01:56:09 | Speaker 5:

Stick some testosterone in his morning, you know, scrambled eggs or something.

01:56:09 - 01:56:13 | Speaker 4:

Or just go grab his balls and see what happens. It don't take too much.

01:56:13 - 01:56:18 | Speaker 5:

I don't know if you guys necessarily do that. If Chelsea just randomly grabbed my balls, that would not feel good.

01:56:18 - 01:56:23 | Speaker 4:

Listen, if you're in the kitchen and Chelsea just come up to you and get a handful, you're not going to get rock hard?

01:56:23 - 01:56:28 | Speaker 5:

No, I get the reach around and I don't like it. What's going on, Brett? Hi. How are you?

01:56:28 - 01:56:29 | Speaker 3:

Good, how about you tell?

01:56:30 - 01:56:31 | Speaker 5:

Good, what's going on?

01:56:32 - 01:56:34 | Speaker 3:

My wife can tell by my tone.

01:56:34 - 01:56:34 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

01:56:36 - 01:56:48 | Speaker 3:

If I tell her, hey, you look good, she knows it's time. But if I'm out in public and I just tell someone, hey, I think that looks good, they know that nothing is going to happen.

01:56:49 - 01:56:56 | Speaker 5:

So the tone changed a little bit there. I noticed it. The tone was, hey, you look good, to you look good, right?

01:56:56 - 01:56:56 | Speaker 3:

Exactly.

01:56:57 - 01:57:04 | Speaker 5:

Okay. Tone plays a significant role. Question for you. Do you understand when you hear a woman say that their guy won't give it to them?

01:57:06 - 01:57:08 | Speaker 3:

No, my wife gets it whenever she wants.

01:57:08 - 01:57:12 | Speaker 5:

And how about you? Do you get it whenever you want, or do you have to beg sometimes?

01:57:13 - 01:57:14 | Speaker 3:

Nope, it's a two-way street.

01:57:15 - 01:57:16 | Speaker 5:

Where did you find this woman?

01:57:17 - 01:57:25 | Speaker 3:

I found my wife here in Grand Rapids, Michigan. That's it. I actually went on a dating website after a bad relationship.

01:57:25 - 01:57:34 | Speaker 5:

It's the west side of the state. You guys on the west side of the state, you guys have more sex than the people on the east side of the state or Toledo.

01:57:35 - 01:57:38 | Speaker 3:

Hey, that's got to be an east side thing.

01:57:38 - 01:58:26 | Speaker 5:

I'm telling you, I think that that's the problem. We look for the west side girls. All right, well, thank you for the call. I appreciate it. Yep. All right. Shannon, do not stop complimenting your man. That's when the relationships all change, you know, when you stop. Seriously, it's true. Compliments are nice. It's nice when the compliments come out. I have a problem sometimes where Chelsea doesn't take my compliments like I'll give her I'll give her a compliment and and she and we talked about this on our we don't podcast and one of the reasons that she brought up which I thought was extremely valid was she says she listens to me on the radio and I compliment everybody so she started realizing that the compliments didn't mean much and I started having to check myself you know what I mean like it's it's and it's a work in progress yeah but she says sometimes she goes you know you'll give me a compliment then I'll listen to your show and you'll give 10 other people that same

01:58:26 - 01:58:30 | Speaker 4:

compliment. Yeah. Wow. When everything's important, nothing's important. Yeah.

01:58:30 - 01:58:32 | Speaker 5:

Very well said.

01:58:32 - 01:58:38 | Speaker 3:

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

01:58:38 - 01:58:46 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Mark. Yeah. So Mark's worried that his ex-girlfriend is

01:58:46 - 01:58:47 | Speaker 2:

messing around. Sleeping with my buddy.

01:58:47 - 01:59:08 | Speaker 5:

Is sleeping with your buddy. So it's not, she's not your girlfriend anymore. You guys broke up already. Right. And now you think that she is having a relationship with your best friend. Yeah, from high school. Wow, all the way from high school, you guys have been best friends, and you guys hang out all the time, and you think that there's something going on between the two. Would that bother you, even though you guys are exes?

01:59:10 - 01:59:21 | Speaker 2:

It's just something... Like, we had a... She wasn't just like a fling. Like, we were actually dating, you know? I don't know. It's just one of those things. Like, you don't date your best friend's ex. So, have

01:59:21 - 01:59:24 | Speaker 5:

Have you had conversations with him about her?

01:59:26 - 01:59:30 | Speaker 2:

I've asked him a little bit.

01:59:32 - 01:59:40 | Speaker 5:

And when I mean this, I'm also talking, have you like you share with him like the problems that you guys had in your relationship and the struggles and stuff?

01:59:40 - 01:59:40 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:59:40 - 01:59:43 | Speaker 5:

And have you asked him if he's messing around with her right now?

01:59:44 - 02:00:00 | Speaker 2:

I've sort of asked him. I've kind of hinted like, hey, what's going on? is there you know are you doing is anything going on there um he you know he always says no no it's just for you know we're we're just friends it's cool but like it's kind of weird even

02:00:00 - 02:00:13 | Speaker 1:

And the fact that he stayed friends with her. All right, so we're going to call him up to see who he will send a dozen free roses to. And you're hoping that he's sending those flowers to his mom or somebody else.

02:00:14 - 02:00:14 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:00:16 - 02:00:42 | Speaker 1:

You know, I feel kind of weird doing this only because he's not dating this girl anymore. But it is your buddy. Would you be upset, Cav, if your buddy was dating your ex? I guess it depends on the ex, right? Like, if we were in a long relationship, if she was like, my love, it would be kind of weird. Which just sounds to me like that's exactly what Mark's got going on. We're going to call, mute your phone.

02:00:43 - 02:00:43 | Unknown:

Okay.

02:00:44 - 02:00:55 | Speaker 1:

What's your ex-girlfriend's name? Charity. We're calling up Chase to see who he's going to send flowers to.

02:00:58 - 02:02:34 | Speaker 2:

02:02:34 - 02:02:45 | Speaker 3:

quiet uh yeah yeah okay and what's charity's phone number uh it's uh seven

02:02:45 - 02:03:52 | Speaker 2:

four two okay and what's charity's relationship to you she's a friend okay i just want to make sure this this is um a dozen long stemmed red roses are you okay with that i just don't want put you in a weird situation if she misconstrues okay okay and we also do something really unique at roses bloom calm and that we offer a digital voice card instead of sending a paper card with the flowers so essentially charity will get a text message when the flowers are delivered and it's gonna be this little voice memo that I'm gonna record with you right now just kind of a little but it's like a step up from a paper card. Do you get it? No. What do you mean? So I'm going to count you down in a second. You're going to basically say a message that you will leave on a card, but you can actually make it longer. So when she'll get a text message with that, with the flower, when the flowers get delivered so she can play it and know who they're from.

02:03:53 - 02:03:54 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:03:55 - 02:04:00 | Speaker 2:

Okay? Sure. Here we go, Chase. Three, two, one.

02:04:01 - 02:04:10 | Speaker 3:

Hey, girl. I thought these would cheer you up. I know you've been down the last few days, so I hope you enjoy them.

02:04:12 - 02:04:19 | Speaker 2:

Okay. And Chase, I also have to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes. Are you okay with that?

02:04:21 - 02:04:21 | Unknown:

Yeah.

02:04:22 - 02:04:31 | Speaker 1:

Great. Chase, we're going to send those flowers off, and I'm going to jump on here just to wrap up the call so that I can give you all the information, okay?

02:04:32 - 02:04:33 | Unknown:

Okay.

02:04:34 - 02:04:46 | Speaker 1:

We will send those flowers off, make sure that she gets them. And I know that we already asked you this question, but I just want to reiterate, is this a girlfriend of yours or just a friend?

02:04:48 - 02:04:50 | Speaker 3:

No, she's a friend.

02:04:51 - 02:04:58 | Speaker 1:

So just somebody that you're friends with? Yeah. Okay. All right. We will send those off to her.

02:05:00 - 02:05:16 | Speaker 3:

have a great day goodbye mark yeah so he just says that they're just friends

02:05:16 - 02:05:24 | Speaker 5:

yeah i don't even want them to be friends though the whole thing seems just strange to me i know

02:05:24 - 02:05:30 | Speaker 1:

but you don't necessarily get to control whether they're friends or not like if that's all it is I don't.

02:05:31 - 02:05:36 | Speaker 4:

No, of course. I can control whether or not we're still friends, so I don't know.

02:05:36 - 02:05:37 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:05:37 - 02:05:41 | Speaker 3:

Wow, that's too bad. So you would actually lose a friendship over this girl?

02:05:42 - 02:05:45 | Speaker 5:

I just, I don't know. It just bothers me.

02:05:46 - 02:05:58 | Speaker 3:

What are your thoughts on us calling him back to explain who we are and then calling her and seeing if we can get her on the phone with us and talk to them?

02:06:00 - 02:06:02 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. I think it sounds like it's going to get messy.

02:06:03 - 02:06:05 | Speaker 3:

I think we're already messy.

02:06:05 - 02:06:06 | Speaker 5:

We're already doing this.

02:06:06 - 02:06:14 | Speaker 3:

You want answers, man. Might as well get them now. We're here. All right. Fine. All right. Hang on one second.

02:06:15 - 02:06:18 | Speaker 5:

Don't miss this. Mojo in the Morning.

02:06:18 - 02:06:37 | Speaker 3:

When we come back here next on the Mojo in the Morning show, the very awkward and very in-your-face confrontation that takes place between two friends over one girl. We'll be back with the War of the Roses and comments on us doing this War of the Roses next.

02:06:37 - 02:06:40 | Speaker 5:

This is the home of War of the Roses. Mojo.

02:06:40 - 02:07:02 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the morning. War of the Roses. Not busting a cheater. I mean, really not a cheater, right? but a buddy that is now hanging out with a friend's ex, which, Kelsey, you say is a no, no, no, no.

02:07:04 - 02:07:05 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

02:07:06 - 02:07:07 | Speaker 3:

And why is that?

02:07:08 - 02:07:10 | Speaker 2:

He broke bro code.

02:07:10 - 02:07:23 | Speaker 3:

Yes. Which, by the way, they always talk about bro code. I would like to know why I don't have friends that have bro code. You know what I mean? Maybe I'm hanging out with the wrong people. Right. What's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

02:07:23 - 02:07:24 | Speaker 2:

Hi.

02:07:24 - 02:07:25 | Speaker 3:

Hi. What's up?

02:07:25 - 02:07:28 | Speaker 2:

I think that the friend is gay.

02:07:28 - 02:07:32 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. It's interesting that you say that. What's your reasoning?

02:07:33 - 02:07:45 | Speaker 2:

Just the way that he answered. And then he, when he sent her the message, he said, hey, girl, I don't know very many men that were trying to get with someone that was a girl. That was super weird.

02:07:45 - 02:07:54 | Speaker 3:

Let me play that for you. This was on the message, right? Hold on a second. Let me find that for you. Here we go, Chase.

02:07:54 - 02:07:55 | Speaker 1:

Three, two, one.

02:07:58 - 02:08:06 | Speaker 5:

Hey, girl. I thought these would cheer you up. I know you've been down the last few days, so I hope you enjoy them.

02:08:07 - 02:08:08 | Unknown:

Oh, good catch.

02:08:08 - 02:08:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Could be. I'm not going to tell you, you know, say that only gay guys use the.

02:08:16 - 02:08:20 | Speaker 2:

No, I agree. And I think he's too in tune to her feelings. Girl.

02:08:20 - 02:08:27 | Speaker 3:

So you're saying, wait a second, you're saying that no straight dude would ever be in tune to a girl's feelings?

02:08:27 - 02:08:36 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I don't know. I guess you could say that, but I just feel that he seemed to be more interested in how she felt than actually trying to get with her.

02:08:36 - 02:08:41 | Speaker 1:

So what I heard you say is straight guys are not emotionally intelligent. Most.

02:08:42 - 02:08:43 | Speaker 4:

She said it, not me.

02:08:43 - 02:09:23 | Speaker 3:

Let me play you then the conversation that we had afterwards because it took us a while to try to get these guys on the phone with us. So let me play for you because we had to call back and see if we could get Mark's friend on the phone. So that was tough. So it was tough to get Jason and then it was tough to try to get his ex on the phone too. So I'm going to play you that conversation right now and then you judge what you think of whether or not there's bro code. Chase? Yeah. I know we explained to you why we have you on the phone here. Say hey to Mark.

02:09:25 - 02:09:29 | Speaker 4:

Hey, man, what's up? What's going on?

02:09:30 - 02:09:36 | Speaker 3:

Hold on one sec, okay? Because I'm going to bring somebody else on the phone here. Charity, are you there?

02:09:37 - 02:09:37 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:09:38 - 02:09:39 | Speaker 3:

And you're okay with your voice on the radio?

02:09:42 - 02:09:43 | Speaker 4:

I guess.

02:09:43 - 02:10:01 | Speaker 3:

okay so I just need a yes or no yes okay so Mark is with us and Mark was telling us how you dated before

02:10:00 - 02:10:12 | Speaker 2:

And Mark also told us, Chase, how you are his best buddy, and he doesn't like the idea that you're talking to his ex-girlfriend.

02:10:17 - 02:10:18 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

02:10:19 - 02:10:26 | Speaker 2:

Chase? Yeah? Mark feels, Mark, go ahead, tell Chase your thoughts.

02:10:26 - 02:11:01 | Speaker 4:

I mean, dude, why are you talking to Charity behind my back? You know, she got in touch with me, and I just, you know, being a friend. Is that a problem? I mean, you guys weren't friends before I started dating her. You know how I felt about her. I told you, I told you everything, and now you guys are talking behind my back. Like, that's, that's super s***.

02:11:03 - 02:11:10 | Speaker 2:

Charity, what are your thoughts on this one? You get a say-so on who you can be friends with and who you can't be friends with?

02:11:16 - 02:11:20 | Speaker 5:

Like, all I have to say is that we're, we're just friends, so.

02:11:21 - 02:11:23 | Speaker 3:

Like, nothing's ever happened. Pass that.

02:11:23 - 02:11:34 | Speaker 2:

no no so there's no there's nothing that's ever happened between you and chase

02:11:34 - 02:11:43 | Speaker 5:

no we are we're just we're just friends

02:11:43 - 02:12:30 | Speaker 2:

chase nothing has happened between you and charity no because boy that's the way the answer came out of charity out of your mouth makes it sound like there is something that has happened I listen I'm somebody that believes and I don't know how everybody else feels but I'm somebody that believes that it's an ex for a reason you're an ex but that doesn't mean that you control who that person talks to I mean I think that you got to kind of get over it, Mark, but I also think that it would be really tough if you're not telling the truth. What do you guys think? Megan and Kevin and Shannon and everybody, what do you think?

02:12:32 - 02:12:55 | Speaker 6:

I mean, for starters, something definitely went on. Paul's a little too thick, but just to be a friendship. But I'm with my man, so if he up for it and he no longer wants to be a part of this relationship, with somebody that's his best friend but for some mysterious reason didn't communicate that he's still hanging out with his ex-girlfriend like she never came up in conversation that seemed

02:12:55 - 02:13:07 | Speaker 3:

crazy to me right yeah that's the hard part because i don't think that you can necessarily control who people are going to be hanging out with you know in situations like this but the fact that there's this big secret in such a close friendship would make me really uneasy

02:13:10 - 02:13:23 | Speaker 2:

i i don't know i just sit there and i uh i think that mark seems really controlling And our listeners, I think, are feeling that, too. But, Mark, I feel bad for you because I feel like you're also not getting the truth out of these guys.

02:13:25 - 02:13:40 | Speaker 4:

I have no desire to control what other people do. How am I supposed to trust going forward? What am I going to tell them about the next girl that I date? No. Do I want to introduce him to some other girl that I'm dating? I mean, forget about it. I want nothing to do with that.

02:13:42 - 02:13:45 | Speaker 2:

Are you willing to throw away a friendship over this? Seems like he is.

02:13:45 - 02:13:49 | Speaker 1:

I was just about to say, I don't think Mark's the one throwing away the friendship.

02:13:49 - 02:13:50 | Speaker 2:

Chase?

02:13:50 - 02:13:53 | Speaker 1:

Chase disregarded him as a friend in his feelings to get with his ex.

02:13:54 - 02:13:56 | Speaker 3:

He also didn't deny that there wasn't something going on.

02:13:57 - 02:14:31 | Speaker 2:

All right, that was the conversation that took place after we made the call and saw who Mark's friend was going to send the flowers to. And Chase, as you just heard, sent the flowers to Mark's girlfriend or ex-girlfriend. Chris wants to comment, War of the Roses, by the way, all the haters that say, this isn't a cheater, they're no longer together, we'll have a cheater, I'm sure, on the next one, believe me, we got a lot of those, what's up, Chris, what's going on, hi, well, first of all, Megan, I just

02:14:31 - 02:14:43 | Speaker 5:

want to say, with that last caller, you used great motivational interviewing skills, is what we as counselors do, great job, explain, wait, explain, come on, you can't just throw

02:14:43 - 02:14:47 | Speaker 2:

out compliments and not explain. What did she do that was so different than what we all do?

02:14:47 - 02:14:57 | Speaker 5:

She said what I heard you say is. Oh. That's motivational interviewing. That's a skill that counselors, social workers, therapists,

02:14:58 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 2:

we all use. Your therapist would be proud.

02:15:00 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God.

02:15:01 - 02:15:27 | Speaker 3:

That's genuinely the best compliment. You are the job. Catch yourself on the back with that one. Secondly, so, listen, I empathize with him. I do. It's got to hurt to see your best friend with, you know, an ex. The heart wants what the heart wants. But I'm wondering, does he still have feelings for this woman? He obviously does.

02:15:27 - 02:15:29 | Speaker 5:

He just sounds like he's jealous.

02:15:30 - 02:16:02 | Speaker 3:

He's jealous. I mean, I validate what you guys said that he's, you know, Chase is following the way. Chase is not. Chase is following his heart. It's not in a very solid direction. You should never do that. But, you know, maybe he was attracted to her when they were dating. You know what? I mean, I don't see anything wrong with the two of them dating.

02:16:02 - 02:16:06 | Speaker 5:

And doesn't Charity deserve to have somebody that is going to take...

02:16:06 - 02:16:08 | Speaker 4:

Sends her long-stemmed red roses as a friend.

02:16:08 - 02:16:16 | Speaker 5:

And is going to take care of her, too, you know? I mean, like, I mean, I know we're joking about the long-stemmed red roses, which, by the way, they are fabulous red roses that we do send.

02:16:16 - 02:16:29 | Speaker 6:

They truly are. And while I don't think there's been any, like, major red flags in him dating his friend's ex, I do understand why the friend doesn't want to be friends with him anymore. Like, I get both perspectives.

02:16:30 - 02:16:32 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Bruno, quick comment from you.

02:16:34 - 02:16:35 | Speaker 2:

Good morning, everybody.

02:16:35 - 02:16:36 | Speaker 4:

Good morning.

02:16:37 - 02:17:20 | Speaker 2:

So I think that Mark is not really over her yet. And the other part that I was thinking is I think that Chase probably should have maybe told Mark about them. kind of like you know still keeping in touch and maybe try to like i don't know say something to not let mark feel suspicious you know what i mean because i feel like if you're really over somebody you should not be jealous you know whom they're talking to or whom they're spending time with and i'm also wondering like how did the relationship even end was was it more like i don't know uh people exchanging words and they start talking well he ended the relationship that's the part

02:17:20 - 02:17:56 | Speaker 5:

that to me is the wackiest, is that he wanted out of the relationship or he ended the relationship. So you can't end a relationship and then all of a sudden tell somebody how they're supposed to be living the rest of their life after that one. I mean, and is, you know, charity doing this for the right reasons or is she doing it also possibly to make Mark jealous? That hasn't even been discussed. You know what I mean? Like that could be one way to say, hey, I'll just get with his friend. War of the Roses here on the Mojo in the Morning show. Megan is still glowing from that therapist calling and saying, yeah.

02:17:57 - 02:17:59 | Speaker 2:

This is the home of the second date update.

02:17:59 - 02:18:03 | Speaker 5:

War of the Roses, the throwback throwdown, and the dirty on the 30s.

02:18:03 - 02:18:10 | Speaker 2:

This is Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30s.

02:18:10 - 02:19:11 | Speaker 4:

Last Dirty! Yes! All right, so starting off with this, an update to that plane crash that happened in Toronto earlier this week delta airlines is offering passengers who were on that flight that crash landed and then flipped upside down 30 000 bucks a piece so if all 76 passengers say okay i'm in the airline will have to fork over about 2.3 million dollars because of this incident so that's pennies to them for sure delta care team reps are also telling customers that the offer has no strings attached and does not affect their rights which i took when i heard that as if they want to sue for something else yeah or something they should say they correct yeah asap rocky dodged a guilty verdict in his felony case this week but one juror said you know she does believe a crime was committed here he just got lucky because of the evidence that wasn't presented the jury made up of seven women and five men this is neek leclaire you know we discussed all the

02:19:11 - 02:20:00 | Speaker 1:

issues, all the questions that we had. We clarified those. We really kind of looked over some pieces of the evidence that people wanted to see a little bit more closely. And I think that we did the best we could with the instructions that we had and with the evidence that we had. The feeling was that there was a gun that unfortunately they didn't have enough evidence to commit on the charges that were handed down to us. What did you think about the testimony of rally? Really? You know, I believe so. I believe that he felt his life was in danger. I do. I feel, you know, I feel for all of them, you know, all the people involved with this. I feel like this could have been avoided. I hope that in the future, Mr. Mayers really thinks his actions, you know, about his actions before, you know, he is upset with somebody.

02:20:00 - 02:21:41 | Speaker 3:

He does have a lot to lose. Mr. Mayor is ASAP Rocky. This is real lasting. Federal prosecutors say a crime gang that targeted the homes of a bunch of pro athletes has been busted finally. This includes those October break-ins at the homes of Travis Kelsey and Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City. Seven defendants, all Chilean men between the ages of 20 and 38, have been charged with conspiracy to commit interstate transportation of stolen property. Three of those men also face state and federal charges in Ohio, and that's connected to that December break-in at the home of Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. So they got everybody that was involved in those. Which I'm kind of surprised that they did. Yeah, well, I mean, I think once they got a few and realized it was a ring, it was easier to kind of connect some dots. But still, that's a big bust there. The music video for Gaga and Beyonce's collab, Telephone, you know this, ends with the phrase to be continued, dot, dot, dot. And we were talking about this earlier this morning. I thought it was only a couple of years ago. It's been like 15 years. Not longer. Yeah, more than that, actually. So Gaga sits down for one of those Vanity Fair lie detector tests, and they talk about the long-awaited Telephone continuation. Is it still happening? She answers that question. Will it ever be continued? Yes. When? I don't know. Will this person be in it? Maybe. You being truthful. I can't keep the picture of Beyonce. Is it taking forever because of scheduling conflicts with Beyonce? No. How different do you think it's going to be from the first one?

02:21:41 - 02:22:04 | Speaker 5:

I hope that it had a Kill Bill theme to it, remember? If you remember the music video, they had the P-Wagon car in it and a whole bunch of, so I hope it kind of emulates like Kill Bill too. I want Beyonce to have the same wig with the same bangs. I want the yellow wig for Lady Gaga with the pop can curlers in it. I want it all. I want it and I want it today.

02:22:04 - 02:22:23 | Speaker 3:

And lastly, a young woman named Louisa Melter sharing a video on Instagram and TikTok showing her filing paperwork to end her marriage at her local courthouse. And she says, she claims, I don't know if I buy it, but that she is divorcing her husband because he booed Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl.

02:22:25 - 02:23:05 | Speaker 4:

I'm divorcing my husband because he booed Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl, and I still don't think he believes me, to be honest, but he might want to start because I just filed my paperwork at the courthouse, and you can see right here, the date of separation is this year's Super Bowl. I'm not just doing this because of the action of booing. I am doing this because of everything that it represents in our relationship. I have loved Taylor Allison Swift since I was 12 years old. My husband even likes her, too. Like, he'll put on her music when we're cooking together. He has a favorite song. It's Girl at Home. But we were at the Super Bowl. It was me, him, and five of his buddies. And when they put Taylor up on the Jumbotron, all of his buddies started booing. And my husband joined in. And that just tells me everything I need to know about that man. Because he didn't care that that would hurt my feelings.

02:23:05 - 02:23:22 | Speaker 3:

I love that she was like, he just wanted to fit in with his boys. That's not even how he actually feels. He just wanted to look cool. And she said, that's not a man. That's a boy. And when you see that, you can't unsee it. So I'm divorcing. For all of today's Dirty Catch-Up on the podcast, on the iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

Well, yesterday going to Kroger and buying myself some food, I almost got into an accident eating Kroger sushi. you love your kroger sushi i do it's the best they have like legit sushi chefs how do you eat sushi in the car mike i'm gonna tell you very carefully or not so careful you use your fingers you just grab it no i should have i actually pulled out the chopsticks so i had so i had the tray in front of me and i had the chopsticks that were out and i'm just driving and i had my leg kind of doing the drive but i also had my my hand kind of on the steering wheel and i'm you know dipping in wasabi i didn't have soy sauce because i'm gluten-free and so i'm doing it and i'm eating and all of a sudden my steering wheel as i literally was about to put one piece in my mouth my steering wheel kind of like quickly jerked and i was like holy crap and literally almost drove right off.

02:25:00 - 02:25:13 | Speaker 4:

the road and I'm gonna go on record to say that will be the last time that I use chopsticks but not the last time I eat sushi I love it but I know that there are certain foods that you cannot eat while driving a cheesy gordita crunch

02:25:13 - 02:25:28 | Speaker 3:

from Taco Bell because stuff falls out the other side into your lap and I'm always so concerned like did it get on my clothes or did it get on the wrapper that I try to place underneath it but sometimes the wrapper slips a little bit It's just messy.

02:25:28 - 02:25:32 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, see, you're doing it wrong because the whole point of Taco Bell is you got to shove it in all at once.

02:25:33 - 02:25:34 | Unknown:

Whoa.

02:25:34 - 02:25:35 | Speaker 2:

No multiple bites.

02:25:35 - 02:25:43 | Speaker 4:

How do you get Taco Bell not to fall on your carpet in your car?

02:25:44 - 02:25:50 | Speaker 3:

It's just the cheese is on the carpet. Some of the meat slap is in your lap. What a descriptive word, Dan.

02:25:50 - 02:26:56 | Speaker 4:

There are certain foods that to me And I actually was thinking about this When I was writing this topic down last night To send in today There are certain foods that you cannot eat while you're driving Taco Bell was definitely one of the ones I put up on here Have you ever gone and gotten soup Like Panera Bread or Zoop? Soup is a tough one Unless you're drinking it out of the cup It's difficult Why are you eating soup driving? What is going on with you? Here's other ones that I put on the list hamburgers burgers tough especially if they're you know big burgers disagree um chicken wings chicken wings are tough because it gets on your fingers yeah jelly donuts fried chicken i don't know if anybody's grabbed some fried chicken yep um here's a couple of other ones ribs have you ever eaten ribs is there anybody listening that's ever had ribs while driving i want to know because you got all of your fingers and stuff at that time and you're trying to drive around and then honestly even just drinking a can of red bull sometimes trying to open the can while you actually are trying to steer in the steering wheel it's very difficult

02:26:56 - 02:27:01 | Speaker 2:

to get that thing uh that thing open i have zero experience doing that oh my god there's more red

02:27:01 - 02:27:04 | Speaker 4:

bull in that car i bet you if i go to your jeep right now there's probably you probably have a

02:27:04 - 02:27:15 | Speaker 1:

case in the center console don't you i chugged a red ball the way here and i realized i opened it right as i was leaving my apartment and i didn't drink any of it until i ended up two miles away And I was like, let's go, baby.

02:27:18 - 02:27:28 | Speaker 4:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I want to talk about the foods that you ate while you're driving and how dangerous they were to be eating them.

02:27:28 - 02:28:00 | Speaker 3:

I got pita-way on the way home the other day. So good. So I stopped at the pita-way. It's so good. I stopped at the pita-way in Berkeley and got like a rice bowl or whatever, you know, with chicken and hummus. And I was so hungry. I'm like, all right, I can eat this in the car. So I put it, like, on my center console. Do you know how messy it is to try to eat rice, like a rice bowl? And it's not sticky rice. Do you know what I mean? So I'm trying to scoop up rice as I'm driving, and there's yellow rice just all over me. I was covered.

02:28:00 - 02:28:06 | Speaker 4:

I'm not going to lie to you. Even Chipotle bowls are tough to eat while you're driving, or burritos if they're big.

02:28:06 - 02:28:14 | Speaker 2:

You ever try to do that thing, too, when you spill on your lap where you get out of the car, but you try to get out of the car with the stuff still in your lap so it goes outside the car? It just makes it worse.

02:28:14 - 02:28:17 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the morning, what's going on, Tristan?

02:28:18 - 02:28:19 | Speaker 5:

Hi, how are you?

02:28:20 - 02:28:24 | Speaker 4:

Fantastic, Tristan. We're talking about dangerous foods to eat while driving.

02:28:26 - 02:28:28 | Speaker 1:

Pancakes. Pancakes.

02:28:28 - 02:28:30 | Speaker 2:

That would be so good, though.

02:28:30 - 02:28:36 | Speaker 1:

No, see, you can roll them up like a little hot dog. No, no, nice and short, so you don't get your fingers sticky.

02:28:37 - 02:28:42 | Speaker 4:

McDonald's pancakes, by the way. You did it, girl. Greatest part of my childhood is a McDonald's pancake.

02:28:42 - 02:28:43 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:28:43 - 02:28:44 | Speaker 4:

So good.

02:28:44 - 02:28:46 | Speaker 1:

We'll switch over to those French toast sticks. Those are really good, too.

02:28:47 - 02:28:49 | Speaker 4:

Oh, Wendy's. LaBelle. What's up, LaBelle?

02:28:50 - 02:28:51 | Speaker 5:

How are you?

02:28:52 - 02:28:54 | Speaker 4:

Fantastic. Oh, thank you.

02:28:54 - 02:29:23 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Well, I am gluten-free as well. I'm listening to all the things that you named off not to eat while driving, and I have eaten every last one of them. That was one of my favorites. Yeah. But I stopped because I think that their meat has wheat in it, so I had to stop doing Taco Bell. Oh, really? But Detroit Wing Company has gluten-free wings that are lemon-pepper rub, and I will eat a whole 10-piece while driving.

02:29:23 - 02:29:24 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

02:29:24 - 02:29:24 | Speaker 5:

Without a problem.

02:29:25 - 02:29:30 | Speaker 4:

So, LaBelle, how much lemon pepper is all over your lap when you get out of that car?

02:29:31 - 02:29:47 | Speaker 5:

None. So what I do is I put the container right in my lap, and I'll drive with one knee. I have a Traverse, so I use the one knee to drive. The container is in my lap. Yeah. And I twist the flap and then put it in my mouth and just take the bones right out.

02:29:47 - 02:29:50 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so what does your steering wheel look like then? Because you've got to have sticky fingers.

02:29:52 - 02:29:57 | Speaker 5:

It's a lemon-covered rub, so it's like kind of a dry rub. But then you keep the nap next to you.

02:29:57 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 4:

And she's got the extra wet wipes from Detroit.

02:30:00 - 02:30:06 | Speaker 6:

company you just have to have a napkin close to you and just wipe your fingers on it there you go

02:30:06 - 02:30:10 | Speaker 2:

no problem send us a picture by the way anybody who's driving and eating right now send us a

02:30:10 - 02:30:15 | Speaker 1:

picture of you doing this let's be honest no say attention to what you're eating and driving you

02:30:15 - 02:30:19 | Speaker 2:

don't need to take a picture this segment is brought to you by the collision department at

02:30:21 - 02:30:24 | Speaker 1:

who's using a napkin aren't you supposed to use the side of your driver's seat

02:30:24 - 02:30:25 | Speaker 2:

That is true

02:30:25 - 02:30:28 | Speaker 1:

Debbie what's up Debbie

02:30:28 - 02:30:30 | Speaker 6:

Hi good morning

02:30:30 - 02:30:31 | Speaker 2:

Morning

02:30:31 - 02:30:59 | Speaker 6:

So I used to live in Atlanta And my drive everyday was 86 miles One way well I would get hungry On my way home I made the mistake of stopping off And getting a dozen jalapeno Poppers at one of my favorite restaurants After eating three or four Of these molten lava Jalapeno poppers By the time I bit into about the fourth or fifth one, it literally exploded onto my windshield.

02:31:02 - 02:31:04 | Speaker 2:

Like to the point that you couldn't see out?

02:31:05 - 02:31:17 | Speaker 6:

I could not see out. And mind you, it's greasy, it's cream cheese, and I only maybe had like two or three napkins and nothing to drink to try and get this mess off the windshield.

02:31:18 - 02:31:19 | Speaker 2:

By the way, life is good.

02:31:19 - 02:31:33 | Speaker 6:

I had to use my shirt, get out. I was on 85. I had to park my truck, get out, use my shirt, and try and get the windshield wiper fluid to soak my shirt. I just cleaned my windshield.

02:31:34 - 02:31:34 | Speaker 2:

Debbie.

02:31:34 - 02:31:36 | Speaker 6:

I'm going to do jalapeno poppers while driving.

02:31:36 - 02:31:40 | Speaker 2:

That is awesome. Thank you, Debbie. I love that. Kyle, what's up?

02:31:41 - 02:31:46 | Speaker 4:

Hey, I get a whole barbecue sampler on my way to work. Sampler?

02:31:47 - 02:31:47 | Speaker 2:

Really?

02:31:47 - 02:31:50 | Speaker 1:

On your way to work. How did you get it that early in the morning?

02:31:50 - 02:32:03 | Speaker 5:

Well, it was from the night before. We went to Prime Barbecue. We were choosing them for our care for our wedding. And they gave us a whole sampler. And I was eating ribs, cold pork, cold chicken, potato salad, coleslaw.

02:32:03 - 02:32:05 | Speaker 2:

What was the hardest thing to eat while driving?

02:32:06 - 02:32:07 | Speaker 4:

Probably the coleslaw.

02:32:08 - 02:32:12 | Speaker 2:

Really? Of all things, with a fork, trying to keep it together.

02:32:12 - 02:32:20 | Speaker 4:

Well, I was driving with my knee, and I hit a patch of black ice. Ended up in the ditch. And when the cop pulled up, I was just mowing down.

02:32:20 - 02:32:29 | Speaker 2:

Still eating. That's awesome. Kyle, you're a champion. This is a great one. Tax, are you there?

02:32:30 - 02:32:33 | Speaker 3:

Yep, I'm here to do a little filler. Oh, Lord.

02:32:33 - 02:32:39 | Speaker 2:

How you doing? Tax, we're talking about dangerous foods to eat while driving.

02:32:40 - 02:32:45 | Speaker 3:

Doggy, I tell you what, I tried down at a daggone sloppy goat where you're hitting down the highway at 75.9.

02:32:46 - 02:32:55 | Speaker 2:

75 miles an hour driving, eating a Sloppy Joe. When's the last time? Have any of you guys not had a Sloppy Joe ever in your life? Do you know what a Sloppy Joe is? Sloppy Joe's going crazy.

02:32:56 - 02:32:59 | Speaker 1:

Who doesn't know what a Sloppy Joe is? I'm more offended you asked.

02:32:59 - 02:33:06 | Speaker 2:

That's like a childhood. Well, do you know Hamburger Helper, too, or no? Of course. Of course. Okay. You guys know what macaroni and cheese is? No, go after yourself.

02:33:06 - 02:33:07 | Speaker 6:

Have you guys ever heard of French fries?

02:33:09 - 02:33:09 | Unknown:

Tex.

02:33:10 - 02:33:11 | Speaker 6:

Toast? Tex. Oh, my God.

02:33:12 - 02:33:14 | Speaker 2:

What happened with your Sloppy Joe?

02:33:14 - 02:33:24 | Speaker 3:

Did it end up all over you? Well, a daggum deer ran around me, so I had to put it on the brake a little bit, smash the deer all over the place. A daggum sloppy joe went all over me and the daggum deer.

02:33:24 - 02:33:30 | Speaker 2:

Where do you think that that daggum deer came from? Did it smell the sloppy joe while you were driving?

02:33:31 - 02:33:33 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. It looked just like you came out of nowhere.

02:33:34 - 02:33:45 | Speaker 2:

That's amazing. By the way, where are you from that you have this accent, Tex? I'm from Texas, daggum deer. Dumb question. I'm sorry.

02:33:46 - 02:33:48 | Speaker 1:

I feel like people from Texas were offended by that.

02:33:50 - 02:34:33 | Speaker 2:

I thought his name might have been. Just Tex. mojo on the morning show we were just having a uh quick discussion that It was very funny. How did you know that somebody was rich or you thought that they were rich when you were a kid? Like, there's always those indicators. Like, if you go to a friend's house and you're like, these people are rich.

02:34:33 - 02:34:56 | Speaker 1:

I think there's a million different examples. But I think one of my favorites when I was growing up is, did you ever walk into somebody's house? And I actually think this does apply to rich people, but also just normal houses. but if you walked in and they had a foyer and it opened up and you could see part of the hallway and the second floor was like a railing. Oh, with a railing. I was like, ooh, rich.

02:34:57 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 2:

I just like how you say foyer.

02:34:59 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 1:

A foyer.

02:35:00 - 02:35:05 | Speaker 3:

Because most people would say there's stairs going upstairs. You know what I mean? Yeah. I like that. The foyer.

02:35:05 - 02:35:19 | Speaker 5:

But, like, I think sometimes, even in my last house, you could stand at the bottom of the stairs and look up and see the hallway. But you don't have, like, when you could have that, like, opening. Yeah. And there was, like, a railway. And you could, like, see, like, a bathroom door and a bedroom door. Yeah, my friend Kelly had that.

02:35:19 - 02:35:26 | Speaker 6:

I remember thinking kids that, like, if I go over to a friend's house and they had a TV in their bedroom, I was like, oh, you guys are doing okay.

02:35:26 - 02:35:36 | Speaker 3:

If they had a TV with cable television attached to it. Oh, yeah. Not just one of those antennas? Yeah. Or a TV with a VCR.

02:35:36 - 02:35:38 | Speaker 2:

Ooh, that was always a good one.

02:35:38 - 02:35:40 | Speaker 3:

You could watch movies in your room?

02:35:40 - 02:35:46 | Speaker 2:

Remember the one that had it built in? It was like the little mini TV and the VCR was in front of it. Yes. Yeah, the combo.

02:35:46 - 02:35:56 | Speaker 5:

The 13-inch baby. Yes. 13 inches. Yes, it was. Six pixels on that whole screen. Six pixels. I also knew, like, I was at a rich person's house growing up. if they had a refrigerator in their garage?

02:35:57 - 02:35:57 | Speaker 2:

Oh.

02:35:57 - 02:35:59 | Speaker 5:

I feel like it's much more common now.

02:35:59 - 02:36:03 | Speaker 2:

See, that was every Italian, and my family's Italian, every Italian had that refrigerator in their garage.

02:36:03 - 02:36:11 | Speaker 5:

But did you ever go somewhere where they had like a new fridge in the garage where it wasn't like the old decrepit one from the kitchen that sometimes didn't work well?

02:36:11 - 02:36:15 | Speaker 3:

Or a matching fridge to their fridge in their garage.

02:36:15 - 02:36:16 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:36:16 - 02:36:29 | Speaker 3:

There were some people, Shannon brings up a really good point, talking about Italians, some of Chelsea's family members had kitchens in their garage. they're like full-on kitchens in their like because they're italians and stuff so they had

02:36:29 - 02:36:33 | Speaker 2:

a place where you could actually cook do the sauces and the meatballs and then freeze them

02:36:33 - 02:36:38 | Speaker 3:

the brissels i think that the the which one the brissels what is that it's like roll you've never

02:36:38 - 02:36:44 | Speaker 2:

had it's like rolled up steak i think is what it is thin it's really thin um i just remember

02:36:44 - 02:37:08 | Speaker 3:

the other one too is if you were a person that uh had a swimming pool definitely oh gosh yeah And it wasn't an above ground. It was a below ground swimming pool. Because I grew up on the south side of Chicago. And there's literally neighborhoods where it's nothing but above ground pools there. Which are cool. But you were not the rich person unless you had them build it into the ground.

02:37:08 - 02:37:25 | Speaker 4:

All y'all sound rich to me. I'm here in foyers. I'm here in refrigerators. I didn't say I had these. Man, none of this crap. If you was a dude in the hood who had the basketball hoop, you was the rich kid. That was it? Like the one in the concrete, right? Even the pullout boy. If you had to pull a hoop, oh, yeah, y'all had some money.

02:37:25 - 02:37:29 | Speaker 5:

But, Kev, everything I listed was things my friends had, not what was in my house.

02:37:29 - 02:37:40 | Speaker 4:

Oh, okay. I didn't even have friends that had poies and pools. Are you kidding me? Who had a pool in Detroit? Are you serious? You did. You got it at Kmart. Okay.

02:37:40 - 02:37:41 | Speaker 7:

It was a blow-up one.

02:37:41 - 02:37:50 | Speaker 4:

Bro, our thing was a clothes hamper. We used to fill up water in a clothes hamper, and that's how we used to have a pool. That was summer. He never did pool.

02:37:50 - 02:37:52 | Speaker 6:

That was my backyard. It was always sprinklers.

02:37:52 - 02:38:13 | Speaker 5:

the crazy daisy man crazy daisy vibes i need you to google crazy daisy right now another rich kid thing was if they had a designated area in their house for the kids to play in that wasn't their bedrooms whether it was like a playroom or a tv room yeah yeah that's like the best rich that was

02:38:13 - 02:38:54 | Speaker 3:

the best i used to love um at my old house we had an unfinished basement and my kids thought it was so cool to go and play in the unfinished basement yeah they could do like all that stuff we used to do until they went over to the kid's house who had the finished basement oh yeah and if they had a finished basement they would come home and complain about how we had the house that was not cool enough for everybody to come down so i actually got my basement finished and had a guy come and do it like on the side and stuff now did they never go down there no well yeah they were kind of like oh okay this isn't as great like they can't ride their stuff because we were like Like, if you run into the walls, you're going to bust drywall and stuff, you little bastard.

02:38:55 - 02:39:06 | Speaker 4:

Chappelle had a joke where he was about to leave one of his friends' house, and then his mom said, stay for dinner. He was like, no, I don't want to be here. And she was like, we're having stovetop stuffing. He was like, oh, stovetop stuffing.

02:39:06 - 02:39:11 | Speaker 6:

He only saw it on TV. He was like, that's how I knew they were rich. But with that, too, the friends with the good snacks,

02:39:11 - 02:39:18 | Speaker 7:

the friends that had the really, really, really good, like anything Little Debbie. I always had the off-brand Little Debbie, but anything Little Debbie, you knew.

02:39:19 - 02:39:23 | Speaker 5:

If you went into a pantry and they had Dunkaroos, I was like, you're living it up every day.

02:39:24 - 02:39:25 | Speaker 7:

Your mom, Debbie, man, zebra cakes?

02:39:26 - 02:39:31 | Speaker 3:

Yes. Those are so good. Amanda, hi. How did you know that the neighbor was rich?

02:39:33 - 02:39:40 | Speaker 1:

When they had Hot Pockets and Gushers in their pantry and freezer and more than one bathroom. Oh, yeah.

02:39:40 - 02:39:40 | Unknown:

Gushers.

02:39:41 - 02:39:57 | Speaker 3:

More than one bathroom in the entire house, right? Where am I going in that bathroom? That, by the way, is the best that you knew that you could actually duty in a bathroom that was the fancy, the powder room. They called it the powder room.

02:39:57 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 4:

Bro, kids who had different lunches.

02:40:00 - 02:40:12 | Speaker 3:

What do you have different lunches? When I went to school, I had a turkey sandwich. Every day, same thing. It was every day, same thing, bro. But you saw my man who had Gushers one day, Twinkies a different day.

02:40:12 - 02:40:13 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, Crustable kid.

02:40:13 - 02:40:14 | Speaker 3:

You got variety?

02:40:14 - 02:40:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah.

02:40:16 - 02:40:34 | Speaker 5:

Brad Yeager had, his dad got him like one of those construction worker lunch boxes. And it was with a big thermos and he would bring soup to school with them. And he would open up the thermos at lunchtime, which was like 1 o'clock in the afternoon, and it would be steamy.

02:40:34 - 02:40:37 | Speaker 3:

I'm going, this kid's dad cared about him, man.

02:40:37 - 02:40:38 | Speaker 6:

Hot soup?

02:40:39 - 02:40:41 | Speaker 3:

Hot meal. Okay, please run it in.

02:40:41 - 02:41:00 | Speaker 2:

I had a Kroger bag. That was my lunch pill. So we grew up with six kids in our family. By the way, we're done with the topic. I'm sorry. We are? No, I'm going to share, even if it's over. I'm just kidding. This is a very vivid memory. We would fight over snacks because there were six of us, and we'd eat garlic croutons for lunch because that was the only thing that'd be left after picked through our lunches.

02:41:00 - 02:41:01 | Speaker 5:

Oh, K.P.

02:41:02 - 02:41:03 | Speaker 2:

That's why I have such a bad breath.

02:41:03 - 02:41:11 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to Costco today because I've got to get a bunch of water and stuff like that. I'm going to go to that business.

02:41:11 - 02:41:13 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you get bottled water.

02:41:14 - 02:41:21 | Speaker 5:

Thank you. I'm going to that business Costco in Southfield. I'm going to go down the snack aisle and I'm going to find snacks for the studio here for K.P.

02:41:21 - 02:42:03 | Speaker 2:

Can you imagine if I had to be gluten-free as a child? I would be deceased. I wouldn't have any food to eat. Yeah, you couldn't eat those garlic croutons. No, literally nothing. When I got to high school, the lunch ladies called me veggie girl because I'd always ask for extra food. I'm like, bruh, I'll get any at home, so you better pile that thing on. Either I eat here or I don't eat at all. Sorry, I'm going to keep going. I got in trouble with the snack line because I was taking an extra salad. The last day of school, the lady was like, I'm going to report you to the principal. Well, you keep stealing from the snack line. I'm like, I'm not stealing. It's literally here in front of me. You're mad at me for eating salad? Like, most kids don't even eat their vegetables. Anyway.

02:42:06 - 02:42:28 | Speaker 5:

Can I shout out KP, though, in her family? Seriously. Six kids, single mom raising six kids. Seriously, I cannot imagine how, you know, stressful that must have been for your mom. I get it. Like, eating and stuff, you know? I know how three kids eat. I can't imagine having three more of these kids.

02:42:28 - 02:42:41 | Speaker 2:

I mean, at that point, she's like, if you don't make your lunch, you're not eating at all, and that's your fault. Truly, kids needing school lunches is not funny. Your desperation to tell this story to the people was such a big issue.

02:42:42 - 02:42:51 | Speaker 5:

I wish people could see the video of what she looked like. She was like, frantically, I got to tell this, this is my childhood right now. By the way, do you feel therapy right now? Do you feel like you got it out?

02:42:51 - 02:42:54 | Speaker 2:

I'm actually going to charge each one of you a $40 copays.

02:42:55 - 02:43:02 | Speaker 5:

She ran in like you had croutons for her. Matt, what's going on? How did you know that the kid was rich and that you were friends with?

02:43:03 - 02:43:06 | Speaker 3:

That they had all the name brand cereals.

02:43:07 - 02:43:08 | Speaker 1:

Cereals that came in a box and not in a bag.

02:43:09 - 02:43:09 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

02:43:10 - 02:43:14 | Speaker 3:

Box, bag, if it was name brand and they had it, they were rich.

02:43:14 - 02:43:25 | Speaker 2:

And if your parents didn't mix the healthy cereal with the brand name cereal so that you could get, you know. Oh, no. So that you had more cereal. There's just less of the good part. The only thing I had was Captain Crunch.

02:43:26 - 02:43:34 | Speaker 5:

The berries are the regular ones. The berry ones are for the rich kids. I had berries. You had the berry one? We didn't skimp on cereal. Yeah.

02:43:36 - 02:43:40 | Speaker 1:

The latest is freaking out everybody's, like, most passionate things.

02:43:40 - 02:43:42 | Speaker 5:

Hey, what's up, Melissa? How you doing?

02:43:44 - 02:43:52 | Speaker 1:

I'm good. I always thought my friend was rich because there were people, like, a cleaning service that would come in and clean their house. Oh, yeah.

02:43:54 - 02:44:15 | Speaker 5:

The cleaning person there. We had a cleaning person when we were kids. Ruby. Her name was Ruby. She was a bigger, you know, lady, big, like, white lady. And she would come and clean the house. And she drove a car that literally, I'm not kidding you, when it left the driveway, it left sparks and stuff like that.

02:44:16 - 02:44:18 | Speaker 4:

And it was wild. It was wild.

02:44:18 - 02:44:39 | Speaker 5:

Big Ruby. And for some reason, I always remember this. I always remember that my mom would give her, like, food and things like that after she would come clean the house. And all the kids thought that Ruby was, like, my sister. Like, they're like, I think that she might be here. And I'm like, and then after the Arnold Schwarzenegger. By the way, I'm having a KP moment right now.

02:44:40 - 02:44:42 | Speaker 3:

Let's just get coffee. Let's just go. No, no.

02:44:42 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 5:

Let it out. After the Arnold Schwarzenegger rumor came out of him, or not rumor, but remember he cheated with the cleaning lady? I kept looking around to see if there were people that looked like Ruby coming into my life, thinking my dad was doing Ruby. Thank you, KP, for letting us have a third. I hope you left.

02:45:00 - 02:45:06 | Speaker 2:

a tip. She was sweet. She was a very nice lady. Ruby James, is what her name. Brittany,

02:45:06 - 02:45:19 | Speaker 5:

what's going on? Hey, so we were actually the rich kids, but my dad would pack our lunches like we were poor, and it was the most embarrassing thing ever. Oh, really? Well, that's how you

02:45:19 - 02:45:23 | Speaker 2:

knew you guys were the rich kids, because your dad was saving money on stuff. He was

02:45:23 - 02:45:31 | Speaker 5:

smart. He was literally reusing the bread bag. He would finish the loaf of bread and and then just pack my sandwich in it and wrap it up.

02:45:31 - 02:45:33 | Speaker 2:

Who didn't have a parent that did that?

02:45:33 - 02:45:38 | Speaker 3:

It's a wonder bread. It had the polka dots on it. It's not a parent who does that. It's a dad who does that.

02:45:38 - 02:45:45 | Speaker 1:

You can't figure out that you got it. I thought you were rich if you got lunch sent to school with you. I had to get the free hot lunch at school. That's all I got.

02:45:47 - 02:45:48 | Speaker 2:

It's funny because my kids.

02:45:48 - 02:45:49 | Speaker 4:

That was free for everybody.

02:45:49 - 02:45:54 | Speaker 2:

My kids always wanted the hot lunch. They always loved that. And it would offend Chelsea.

02:45:54 - 02:45:54 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:45:55 - 02:46:10 | Speaker 2:

They'd be like, that's offensive. I make you guys good meals. It's Mojo in the morning show. Shannon, you were trying to teach the kids yesterday how to do something. And then you realized if they don't pick this up and learn it, they might get made fun of.

02:46:10 - 02:47:22 | Speaker 4:

Well, are those things that like as an adult, you probably should know how to do, but maybe you don't. And so both of my kids are, I don't know if it's just them or if it's everybody. Because my allergies are raging right now. my allergies my asthma so so bad and the kids this is the first year that it's really affected them as well and so i took them to the pediatrician and my pediatrician had told me that for lucy especially she's 10 she's like you can actually start giving her like the adult version of zyrtec or allegra claritin whatever she doesn't have to take like the the kids dose the nasty liquid anymore and so i said to her okay the adult stuff like you have to i only had pill bottles i think it only comes in pill in a pill form and she's never taken a pill before and so i was like lou like this is the only way to get the medicine in your body and she was freaking out that i was going to try to make her take a pill and at this point smith was like well you know his allergies were bad he's like do i need to do this too i'm like you know what you both need to learn how to take a pill because you can't be in an adult and not know how to take a pill so you just can't

02:47:22 - 02:47:25 | Speaker 2:

All right, so what pill are you giving Smith? And the same thing, the allergy pill?

02:47:26 - 02:47:50 | Speaker 4:

I just threw a Zyrtec his way. I'm just throwing pills. You get a pill. I'm like, it's not going to kill him. He's fine. So I gave them both a Zyrtec, and I tried to tell them that I could cut it in half and they could swallow it with liquid. That was not working. So they ended up, Lucy had a great idea. She put it in a banana, and they both just ate it that way. Like with a slice of banana. Honest to God. They're going to punch the pill. That's a mean. Who cares?

02:47:50 - 02:47:51 | Speaker 2:

We give our dogs peanut butter around the pill.

02:47:51 - 02:47:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it worked so well And they were both so excited That they had just learned how to take a pill And they could do it now

02:47:59 - 02:48:01 | Speaker 2:

Did either of them have issues Like where they were like

02:48:01 - 02:48:09 | Speaker 4:

Trying to get it down No No, but then I'm like Wait, I bet there are actually adults That can't swallow a pill

02:48:09 - 02:48:19 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay, we gotta open up the phone lines And what do you do? Are there any adults Call out the adult that cannot swallow a pill And still takes children's chewables

02:48:19 - 02:48:30 | Speaker 3:

How are you getting your Zoloft everyday, people? You grind it up and like have, I remember there was like a horse pill I had to take when I was younger and we had to like grind it up and put it into something that I had to eat, but then you could taste it.

02:48:30 - 02:48:36 | Speaker 4:

But does it work the same way? Yeah. Yeah. Well, your body's just absorbing it regardless of how you get it in. I don't believe it. I always thought that.

02:48:36 - 02:48:43 | Speaker 2:

What does WebMD say? I always thought that children's liquid stuff was always tasty. You don't think that the stuff was tasty?

02:48:43 - 02:48:49 | Speaker 4:

Some of it is, but some, so they only like anything that's flavored grape. If it is any other flavor, they're not doing it.

02:48:49 - 02:48:50 | Speaker 2:

It's because they're from Detroit.

02:48:50 - 02:48:51 | Speaker 4:

Well.

02:48:51 - 02:48:52 | Speaker 2:

You got to have that grape.

02:48:52 - 02:48:56 | Speaker 4:

And so Smith's on an antibiotic right now. He's doing amoxicillin, and it smells like barf.

02:48:57 - 02:48:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:48:57 - 02:49:01 | Speaker 4:

To try to get him to take that is a task.

02:49:01 - 02:49:02 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning. What's up, Lynn?

02:49:03 - 02:49:04 | Speaker 6:

Good morning.

02:49:04 - 02:49:05 | Speaker 2:

Hi.

02:49:05 - 02:49:16 | Speaker 6:

Hi. I actually use a pill crusher. It's $4.95 on Amazon, and you just put the pill in it, and you kind of like.

02:49:16 - 02:49:20 | Speaker 2:

Let's ask you this question real quick. Why are you using a pill crusher? You're a grown woman.

02:49:21 - 02:49:31 | Speaker 6:

Well, because it's big. Well, it's not as big as most things, but... Ah, hey now. Are we talking about the same pill?

02:49:33 - 02:49:56 | Speaker 2:

You name your pills. By the way, are you known to all the guys as the pill crusher? That's our username. What about trying what Shannon did with the kids yesterday and get a banana and put it inside a banana? Now we're really getting dirty.

02:49:58 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 6:

Applesauce is what I do.

02:49:59 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

02:50:00 - 02:50:32 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I didn't think about that. So, Lynn, you know, what's funny is that I had a buddy of mine that could not swallow pills, and his parents would send him to school with his stuff, and he would sit there and take them. This was high school, and we went to an all-guys Catholic school, and every guy would just sit there and laugh at this guy because he was like, it was like literally a pill like this big. But for him, it felt like he was choking on a humongous hot dog or something like that, you know? I used to watch movies and wonder how the people would, like, take pills dry. That's what I mean. I could do that. And they would, like, smack their throat? I do that a ton. Really? Oh, yeah.

02:50:32 - 02:50:32 | Speaker 2:

How?

02:50:33 - 02:50:33 | Speaker 5:

What kind of throat do I have?

02:50:33 - 02:50:37 | Speaker 4:

I build up a little saliva in my mouth. Oh, it's the saliva? Yes.

02:50:38 - 02:50:45 | Speaker 5:

You ever take one dry with confidence and then it gets stuck in your throat? Yes, it is the worst. It's weirdly scary. What are you not doing?

02:50:45 - 02:50:46 | Speaker 2:

There's water here.

02:50:48 - 02:51:37 | Speaker 4:

A couple of texters here. I'm not calling in because I do not want to get made fun of and have my friends play this audio, but I am 38 years old and cannot swallow a pill. this one obviously is a voice to text her I can't swallow and then it started saying a whole bunch of stuff that I don't understand what they were saying but I think they were voicing to text us I've been voicing the texting sometimes on my way into work this morning this morning I was doing it with a buddy of mine Chris and I'm trying to voice to text and all of a sudden like random stuff that you could usually it shuts the radio off but I had my phone playing the higher heart radio app too So I think it was picking up the iHeartRadio app. And so it started sending them things that we were saying on the radio show, listening in to the replay show, that 5 o'clock replay show. Dave, what's up, Dave?

02:51:38 - 02:51:46 | Speaker 2:

My cousin Sam has botched applesauce snack packs in the fridge every time he has to take a pill, and he's in his 50s.

02:51:48 - 02:51:53 | Speaker 4:

So did he have to tell you that when you tried to grab one of them when you were over at his house one day?

02:51:54 - 02:51:59 | Speaker 2:

Oh, he had to take an aspirin and opened up a Mott snack pack. What are you doing?

02:52:00 - 02:52:10 | Speaker 4:

You know what he needs is he needs, what are the things that you, like, you put in your mouth and you, like, with a Go-Gurts or whatever it was? Yeah. Do they still have Go-Gurts? Yes, they do. Do they really?

02:52:10 - 02:52:11 | Speaker 2:

There's Spongebob on there now.

02:52:11 - 02:52:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's funny, Dave. What's going on, Laura?

02:52:14 - 02:52:15 | Speaker 2:

Hey, how are you guys?

02:52:15 - 02:52:24 | Speaker 4:

Hey, how did you practice to swallow pills? So you can use, like, Tic Tacs to try and practice. That's a good one.

02:52:24 - 02:52:26 | Speaker 2:

Or, like, meaning M&M's.

02:52:27 - 02:52:44 | Speaker 4:

By the way, orange Tic Tacs are the greatest things ever. The best one. Interesting. It's so good. Oh, my God. You use Tic Tacs? Couldn't tell. I've only used Tic Tacs. I only get Tic Tacs if it's right there at the checkout. Oh, yeah, yeah. Like, I'll buy them there. What's up, Isabella?

02:52:44 - 02:52:56 | Speaker 5:

so i can swallow the big vitamin c from sam's club right but then i have a prescription for

02:52:56 - 02:53:09 | Speaker 6:

02:53:10 - 02:53:13 | Speaker 4:

By the way, Isabella.

02:53:13 - 02:53:15 | Speaker 5:

Isabella, it's like a big hot dog.

02:53:16 - 02:53:25 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to go back and listen to you on the radio this morning because just you starting off going, I can swallow a big hot dog.

02:53:26 - 02:53:27 | Speaker 5:

Big one.

02:53:28 - 02:53:29 | Speaker 4:

Isabella, I love you.

02:53:29 - 02:53:40 | Speaker 6:

Because I'm going to swallow on the hot dog better than the pill. I would choke and dabble on the pill than the hot dog. Please call every day.

02:53:40 - 02:53:42 | Speaker 4:

Are you a married lady, Isabella?

02:53:44 - 02:53:47 | Speaker 6:

Well, actually, I was. Now I'm divorced.

02:53:47 - 02:54:05 | Speaker 4:
