Here we go This is the Mojo in the morning show This is the Mojo in the Morning Show!

00:03:48 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 7:

Alright, it's Mojo in the Morning. Shannon, you experienced one of the rudest people probably. uh yesterday customer service at its maybe i don't know not finest well yeah i i don't think

00:04:00 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 1:

she was necessarily doing it on purpose but have you ever gone to partake in a little self-care and you're hoping to walk away with like you know a little bit of positivity and you walk away just feeling worse than you did when you walked in oh yeah that happened to me when i went to get a pedicure a much needed pedicure i will admit but i go to the place that i always go to and i don't have like a person that I normally go to I just walk in and whomever I get paired with I'm good I'm happy and so this this girl walks up and she brought me back to all of the pedicure chairs and I go to roll up my jeans bad move on my part by the way you never wear jeans to a pedicure you always wear yoga pants very hard to hike those up anyway she goes oh wow you have really dry legs yeah okay all right that's fine um i put my feet in the water she picks one of them out of the water to take off my old pollen

00:05:00 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 2:

and she goes oh your feet look tired what does that mean i don't know mike but i'm like strike two have you been walking all day and then she's like you have really bad ingrown toenails i'm like thinking to myself yes i know i do but three strikes and you're out i mean really can i ask

00:05:26 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 6:

is this one of those uh uh places like or is it uh i don't know vietnamese or what is it yes okay so she's so she's saying this to you when she says it to you and this is no offense to anybody that has an accent she's saying it to you in her accent which comes across probably even meaner

00:05:44 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 2:

as she's saying that it it comes across a little judgy yeah well then she hands me like the little the car the menu where i can get like a a hot stone massage on my feet or like extra scrub or whatever and i thought maybe she's just quote unquote offending me to try to upsell me for

00:06:04 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 4:

all of these other services and to be fair her accent wasn't judgy what she said was judgy

00:06:11 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 2:

it doesn't matter what accent you say it in dang one thing right after the other i know you say

00:06:17 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 6:

that but i'm telling you when i go and they do the whole thing and she says that to me and she's saying it to me it comes across very very like stern like i should have put more lotion on my

00:06:29 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 2:

feet before i came and put my foot in her bowl but tired feet how do my feet look tired somebody please tell me what that like how do my feet look awake i want them to look awake did she do it in

00:06:40 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 6:

a way that she was going to try to sell you on something else because sometimes they may be just

00:06:45 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 2:

trying to upsell you well that's what i mean she then handed me the menu of or whatever they call it i don't know like the you know it's like a laminated card where you can pick if you want other things which i never do but she tried i hate when they're like scented oils i'm like what are

00:07:00 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 6:

you saying you know what you need to do is you need to say if i my feet didn't have all those three things i wouldn't be here right now lady with my foot in the bowl jennifer what's going

00:07:18 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 3:

on it's mojo in the morning how are you i'm great this morning so shannon i completely understand i went to go get a pedicure one time and i had my pants rolled up above my knee the lady sits down and she tells me that i have fatty calves you know how like the under part can be like be like relaxed or whatever and then she proceeds to like hit the fatty part on my calf and like

00:07:41 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 2:

make it wiggle Jennifer you win that's bad I'm not a fat person but you know

00:07:48 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 4:

when your leg is relaxed she's like that and yeah yeah watch these fatty calves

00:08:07 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 6:

That has knocked you on your ass. Erin, what's going on?

00:08:11 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. So I have a wart on the bottom of my foot once. And I went to get a pethicure. And the mail lady was talking about how bad it was. And she got up and left and came back with this plant, this, like, herbal plant, and told me how to make it go away with this plant. And she made me take it home and use it.

00:08:32 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 6:

By the way, when she said you had a wart, did she say it so loud that everybody that was sitting next to you could hear it?

00:08:39 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, of course, yes. Oh, it's bad.

00:08:43 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 6:

Alyssa, hi.

00:08:46 - 00:08:47 | Speaker 5:

Hey, good morning. Good morning.

00:08:47 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 6:

Good morning.

00:08:49 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 5:

So one day I was getting my nails done, and this lady did not talk to me the entire time. Fine, I'm there relaxing. She's done putting lotion on my hands. She looks up at me. She goes, I also do eyebrows. Are you telling me I need my eyebrows done? Yeah. Did you? Oh, my God. I was like, all right, let's go.

00:09:20 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 1:

That's the worst part is they're usually right. They're not wrong most of the time, but you don't say that. Alyssa, be honest. How are those eyebrows?

00:09:28 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 5:

Like, yeah, last time it was October. So, all right, let's just get him out.

00:09:37 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 6:

Well, hey, Alyssa, thank you for calling because your laughter and Shannon's laughing woke up her feet. They're awake now. They're officially awake.

00:09:46 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 5:

I'm heading out for a 12-hour shift, so I hope my feet are woken up.

00:09:49 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 6:

All right, Shannon, get us back on track here.

00:12:04 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 3:

All right, well, Team Canada took home the victory in the Four Nations face-off final, winning 3-2 against Team USA last night.

00:12:12 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 5:

Centering pass, McDavid scores! Connor McDavid wins it!

00:12:17 - 00:14:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it was that sudden death goal in overtime from Connor McDavid that secured that win. my canadian husband was very very very excited and he made me promise to do this story first thing so there you go wesley uh canadian prime minister justin trudeau posted a statement aimed at the u.s immediately after the game if you saw it after president trump's comments about making canada the 51st american state trudeau writing you can't take our country and you can't take our game it's a little talk a little taunt okay true though justin bieber sharing an instagram message yesterday about his spirituality and finding love he wrote on his instagram story it is time to grow up change is about letting go not trying harder he also gave advice to all of his followers on how to live a love-filled life not gonna read the whole thing but he said i tried to follow the rules i'm not good at it but you don't need to follow the rules to enter into a life of love. God always grants us love. It is one of his promises. And he said he has shifted his focus on his spirituality to help him leave his own self behind. Now, I say this in the wake of a video that I saw yesterday. Megan was actually the one to send it to me. It's from Tuesday evening. It is from Justin supporting his wife, Haley, at her Road Beauty pop-up um in LA and he's there everybody who was there by the way said that they there's it doesn't look like there is an issue in their marriage they are very much there was a lot of PDA there was you know he was there to show his full-fledged support however if you have seen this video and if not please google I think a lot of people are worried that he perhaps is experiencing a substance

00:14:07 - 00:14:30 | Speaker 2:

abuse issue based on this video it looks really bad and that photo that came out a few weeks ago that we talked about on the show where he had like really dark under eye circles he was very skinny yeah a lot of people were concerned just about like was he sick whatever and then you see his behavior in this and you're like oh is it something else this is not the case but man it's

00:14:30 - 00:15:13 | Speaker 3:

yeah definitely check that out if you're a bieber fan and jessica simpson is back baby and burying her soul after splitting from her husband eric johnson she said it is the worst heartache but she has channeled it all into a very gritty new album her first album in 15 years it is country well it's country inspired i should say it is not country and i've only heard the first song and which drops today by the way um but people are compares compare Pairing it, excuse me, to Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill. They're calling it a revenge album. The best album of all time. Deeply personal and very emotional, according to the people who have already heard some songs from it. So the album, I believe, drops next week.

00:15:14 - 00:15:14 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

00:15:14 - 00:15:20 | Speaker 3:

The first single, Use My Heart Against Me, is actually out today. Jagged Little Pill is the best album of all time.

00:15:20 - 00:15:22 | Speaker 5:

That's a good comparison.

00:15:22 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Hey, for all of today, for all of this week's Dirty, in fact, catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or mojointhemorning.com.

00:15:30 - 00:15:36 | Speaker 6:

Now that I'm with you, with you, with you, with you.

00:15:39 - 00:15:43 | Speaker 5:

Celebrity Dirt, directly from the source, is Bojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:15:47 - 00:17:03 | Speaker 2:

Bojo in the Morning Show. Now, pretty wild to think that if you're a delivery driver that is bringing dinner and lunch to people, that you have one of the riskiest jobs that is out there because a wild statistic says that one in five food app delivery drivers are assaulted on the job. Nearly 21% of delivery drivers have reported being attacked while working on food ordering apps like Grubhub, DoorDash, Uber Eats, while 22% claim that they were seriously injured on the job, including from assaults and accidents. 61% are more likely to be injured while doing their job because they could get in potentially accidents like car accidents. but 36 percent are more likely to be assaulted like assaulted by the the customer that's some hungry people i wonder if people are like setting you up to try to like rob you or something they should know that these are people working to get money off their app they don't carry cash with them uh sarah you're a delivery driver yes and have you experienced this not not like you know

00:17:03 - 00:17:42 | Speaker 4:

being trying to get attacked or be harmed but um so on DoorDash when you connect to the customer like through via text or if you call them it's not actually your number that's being connected DoorDash like filters you know like a fake number so the customer doesn't have your real number and via versa you know um so a few times there have been times where I've dropped off food and I've actually had the customers like call back the number to ask for like my real number and then And one particular time, this guy, like, was texting me for almost, like, an hour after I dropped off his food. Oh, Lord. And I was just like, oh, I was just like, thank God, this isn't my real number.

00:17:43 - 00:17:46 | Speaker 2:

So they can still contact you for up to that long of a period of time, though?

00:17:47 - 00:17:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, there's a certain amount of time that they can still contact you. Yeah, there's, like, an open window.

00:17:52 - 00:17:58 | Speaker 2:

That's kind of creepy to think, huh? That these guys. And what was the guy doing? Like, what was he saying to you?

00:18:00 - 00:18:19 | Speaker 4:

So it was actually, like, really weird. He was asking me, like, if I like to read books and, like, if we have, like, the same interest in, like, the genre and, like, he likes to play. It was really weird. He was shooting his shot. I mean, if that's what you call it.

00:18:19 - 00:18:21 | Speaker 2:

Is he shooting his shot or is he being creepy with you?

00:18:22 - 00:18:28 | Speaker 4:

I mean, both, I feel. Like, maybe he just didn't know how to do it. He was, like, kind of, like, you know, the weird, yeah.

00:18:28 - 00:18:34 | Speaker 5:

Can you see as a driver what kind of delivery they want, whether it's contactless or, like, in person?

00:18:36 - 00:18:47 | Speaker 4:

So you don't see that until you accept it. Like, when the order pops up, you can see, like, where it's going to, but you can't see that until you, like, accept it.

00:18:47 - 00:18:52 | Speaker 2:

Wow. Yeah, that would be nice if you had that because I do it where I want you to leave it at my door.

00:18:52 - 00:18:52 | Speaker 6:

Same.

00:18:53 - 00:18:57 | Speaker 2:

And I like that because it's awkward, you know, just having that conversation.

00:18:57 - 00:18:58 | Speaker 4:

Right.

00:18:58 - 00:19:01 | Speaker 2:

But I would think that you, as a driver, that you would like that better, too.

00:19:02 - 00:19:16 | Speaker 4:

Right. Well, another thing, too, that kind of sucks about the, if you just hand it to them, there's no proof of you actually giving it to them. So, like, a lot of customers lie and say they don't get their food. That's why I'd rather take a picture than it's good for me to validate.

00:19:16 - 00:19:28 | Speaker 2:

I had a guy hand me the food because I was in my driveway and then say, can I take a picture? And I'm, like, standing there, like, holding it. I felt weird. Like, I felt like I had to pose or something. I'm like, hey, let's do a selfie together.

00:19:29 - 00:19:32 | Speaker 4:

No, he's just, you know, covering his own back to make sure you don't lie on him.

00:19:33 - 00:19:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Man, we're sorry that that happened to you. Listen to Kevin's, though. Kevin, one in five delivery drivers get assaulted. What's happened to you?

00:19:44 - 00:20:00 | Speaker 1:

I had a delivery down in Detroit one day, and I had my windows down. I was coming up, and the address went to an abandoned house. And then next thing I know, there was a couple of guys cussing me out before I even stopped my car. And when I realized.

00:20:00 - 00:20:09 | Speaker 6:

it was an abandoned house i just went ahead and dropped her on the outside of my door and took off before anything happened you know it's kind of freaky you know what could have happened

00:20:09 - 00:20:14 | Speaker 2:

you know yeah but that you know what that's a setup it has to be right they're setting you up

00:20:14 - 00:20:32 | Speaker 6:

to try to rip you off a project or something yeah i felt like it was um since then i already took classes for my uh carrying a concealed weapon now you know i don't want to do that but it's like What are you going to do nowadays? For sure. People think you're carrying cash, and you don't. Yeah.

00:20:32 - 00:20:39 | Speaker 2:

I'm honestly, like, I give you props for going to do that, because you do need to be able to protect yourself. What's happening, Michael?

00:20:41 - 00:20:57 | Speaker 5:

Hey, good morning, guys. Good morning. I was DoorDashing one time, and I was using my sister's account, and I knocked on the customer's door, because they had, they'd like knock, or whatever, and the dude answered the door and make it in the road. Oh, wow.

00:20:58 - 00:21:00 | Speaker 1:

God. What was he hoping for? It was a guy?

00:21:01 - 00:21:03 | Speaker 5:

It was a grown man.

00:21:03 - 00:21:07 | Speaker 7:

Well, because he thought it was the sister. You ain't Darlene. Yes.

00:21:08 - 00:21:09 | Speaker 5:

Oh.

00:21:09 - 00:21:12 | Speaker 7:

Naked. Wow. What did he say to you? What did you say to him?

00:21:13 - 00:21:19 | Speaker 5:

He was just like, you can't be the person that was supposed to be delivering my food.

00:21:20 - 00:21:22 | Speaker 3:

That is really scary.

00:21:22 - 00:21:30 | Speaker 1:

Don't you look out the window Before you open the door I feel like I do You know what I mean I would never just open A blank door

00:21:30 - 00:21:45 | Speaker 2:

We had that As a topic one time It was how many people Have gone to a person's house Either to deliver something Or Work on the cable Yeah And you would not believe How many people Will go And answer the door naked Out of the blue That's great

00:21:45 - 00:21:46 | Speaker 3:

Because they want to

00:21:46 - 00:21:56 | Speaker 2:

I think they have to Right You know what I mean And usually people Who want to be naked are not people that you want to see naked. Correct. It's usually the exact opposite of that.

00:21:56 - 00:21:59 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55.

00:21:59 - 00:22:04 | Speaker 7:

00:22:11 - 00:22:12 | Speaker 4:

Happy Friday, everyone.

I feel great. I'm ready to go. Okay. Number 13.

00:22:17 - 00:22:33 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah. Let's meet your competitor. Her name is Lauren, I believe. Good morning, Lauren. I think we lost her. No! I think we're trying to call her back. Oh, no. I'm pretty sure she just texted in, too. She's like, I'm trying. Hang on, Lauren. Bianca will get you.

00:22:34 - 00:22:43 | Speaker 7:

We'll get you back. You got five in a row yesterday, which was pretty impressive. No, we didn't. He got four. He got four? Yeah. But he got a perfect score. What happened?

00:22:43 - 00:22:47 | Speaker 3:

Don't act like you didn't. I thought it was perfect. No, I think you missed one. Didn't you?

00:22:48 - 00:22:50 | Speaker 4:

No, I got five out of five. No, you did not.

00:22:50 - 00:22:52 | Speaker 7:

He was perfect yesterday. No?

00:22:53 - 00:22:54 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I'm pretty. You are.

00:22:54 - 00:23:03 | Speaker 7:

I'm willing to bet the house. I'm not going to be gaslight. I'm willing to bet the house. No, I'll put money on it, too. I said wine last night. I don't remember. Bet 20. You can listen on the iHeartRadio.

00:23:03 - 00:23:23 | Speaker 3:

I love you, Nick. Oh, that was good. You make our job so much easier. Do we have her back yet? Okay. I'm going to go check on her. I'll get her back. Okay. Let's. Let's take. Like, should we be daring and take somebody random? Should we just pick up a phone line and take somebody?

00:23:24 - 00:23:27 | Speaker 4:

Can you dial out? Do it, do it, do it. All right, Nick says do it.

00:23:28 - 00:23:35 | Speaker 3:

We're going to do it. We're going to take somebody random. Oh, okay, never mind. I don't know what's happening in here. It's Friday. We're going to try to do it back.

00:23:35 - 00:23:36 | Speaker 7:

Freaky Friday.

00:23:36 - 00:23:40 | Speaker 3:

He's going for the 13th. Things have to get weird. I mean, Nick, what are you doing this weekend, by the way?

00:23:42 - 00:23:44 | Speaker 4:

I have a wedding tonight at the Channola Hotel.

00:23:45 - 00:23:57 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. I'm very excited for that. I was there yesterday. In fact, I have to shout out some listeners that I met there. Maria and Michelle, I met at Shinola yesterday, and they were so fun. I told them I'd give them a shout out today, so that was perfect. What a fun place for a wedding.

00:23:58 - 00:24:05 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Who's getting married? Yeah, right? Two of my friends that I've known for a few years. So I'll shout them out, Cam and Owen.

00:24:06 - 00:24:11 | Speaker 3:

Nice. Cam and Owen. A very, very classy wedding. I was going to say. That'll be super fun.

00:24:11 - 00:24:17 | Speaker 4:

That's so fancy. Do you have a plus one? Right. Oh, I'm going as a plus one or else you'd be first on my list, Megan.

00:24:18 - 00:24:33 | Speaker 3:

Thank you. Lauren, we're trying to get her. If not, we're picking up a random line. Pick a random one. Michael. All right, Michael, it is. Okay. Hey, Michael. Hello. Hey, are you ready to play?

00:24:34 - 00:24:35 | Speaker 4:

Let's do it.

00:24:35 - 00:24:45 | Speaker 3:

Okay, do you know, you guys, well, Nick, you know how this works. Michael, you know how this works. Five pop culture questions. Whomever gets the most right wins. Ty always goes to the champion, which would be Nick for his 13th win, okay?

00:24:46 - 00:24:46 | Speaker 4:

Perfect.

00:24:47 - 00:24:49 | Speaker 3:

Okay, Nick, we'll talk to you in a couple of minutes. Bye-bye.

00:24:49 - 00:24:50 | Speaker 4:

I'm good.

00:24:52 - 00:25:02 | Speaker 3:

All right, Michael, here we go. Question number one. Last night was the Four Nations face-off final in hockey. Which team ended up taking home the trophy, Team USA or Team Canada?

00:25:04 - 00:25:04 | Speaker 1:

00:25:34 - 00:25:43 | Speaker 3:

Question four. Selena Gomez dropped her new song with this singer, who just so happens to be the daughter of director J.J. Abrams. Who is she?

00:25:45 - 00:25:48 | Speaker 1:

Three seconds. Are you?

00:25:49 - 00:25:49 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:25:50 - 00:26:03 | Speaker 3:

Okay. And question five. Today is a big, big day in the history of the Mojo in the Morning show. We are celebrating a milestone anniversary. How many years has the Mojo in the Morning Show been on the air?

00:26:05 - 00:26:05 | Speaker 1:

25.

00:26:06 - 00:26:17 | Speaker 4:

All right, let's bring back Nick from the Soundproof booth. Nick, you're in for one today. Michael got four out of five. You were great, Michael.

00:26:18 - 00:26:18 | Speaker 3:

Okay, Nick, you ready?

00:26:18 - 00:26:20 | Speaker 1:

Pick up a random line.

00:26:20 - 00:26:20 | Unknown:

00:26:21 - 00:26:50 | Speaker 3:

Sorry, I kind of screwed you up. I believe in you. Here we go. Question number one. last night was the four nations face off final in hockey which team ended up taking home the trophy team usa or team canada team canada one to one question two jennifer garner and ben affleck's oldest daughter is allegedly cutting off her relationship with her former stepmom after admitting she felt like a pawn during the divorce what's her former stepmom's name

Somebody's got a real loud turn signal going on. My boy, Michael. Question four, Selena Gomez dropped her new song with this singer, who just so happens to be the daughter of director J.J. Abrams. Who is she?

00:27:34 - 00:27:35 | Speaker 1:

Gracie Abrams.

00:27:36 - 00:27:54 | Speaker 3:

Three to three. Okay, you need this one. And it is another show question. Today is a big, big day in the history of the Mojo in the Morning show. We are celebrating a milestone anniversary. How many years has the Mojo in the Morning show been on the air?

00:27:55 - 00:27:56 | Speaker 1:

25. Yeah!

00:27:56 - 00:27:57 | Unknown:

00:27:59 - 00:28:01 | Speaker 4:

Oh, Nikki, 75, you win!

00:28:02 - 00:28:08 | Speaker 2:

Let's go, Nikki! I have a score, 44. All I do is win, win, win, no matter what. I'm shaking.

00:28:10 - 00:28:12 | Speaker 4:

You did it. Oh, my gosh, guys.

00:28:12 - 00:28:35 | Speaker 3:

We will talk to you again on Monday. And Michael, you are a great last-minute competitor, and we are not sending you home empty-handed. 00:28:36 - 00:28:38 | Speaker 2:

You were great. You were great competition for me. Great job, Michael.

00:28:38 - 00:28:43 | Speaker 3:

You really was, yeah. Okay, have a great weekend to both of you. And Nick, Monday morning, bright and early.

00:28:44 - 00:28:46 | Speaker 2:

I'll see you then. Take care, guys.

00:28:46 - 00:28:47 | Speaker 3:

See you.

00:28:49 - 00:28:53 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the mornings. Five is 6.55. Five, five, five.

00:28:53 - 00:29:00 | Speaker 2:

Is there any really, truly good reason why a married guy's not wearing his ring? That's what Megan wants to know.

00:29:00 - 00:29:59 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah, because, you know, I met a listener, and he stopped me, and he said, me and my wife love the show. He was so nice. I have to give a shout-out to his wife, Krista. Sorry, I was like, I'm going to remember, I promise, I'm going to remember. Krista listens every single day, and he's like, she's obsessed with you, she's always on your social medias, yada, yada, yada. And while he's talking, he talks a lot with his hands. And I noticed he's not wearing a wedding ring, but keeps talking about his wife over and over and over again. But I had to ask him, I just couldn't hold it in any longer, and I go, if you have a wife, why are you not wearing a ring? And he said, you know, I work in construction and yada, yada, yada. I could not tell if this was a BS made up lie and if this is a major red flag. Or is there just jobs that you don't wear your ring at that it's OK? Because I know it's different for women. We get much prettier rings.

00:30:00 - 00:30:05 | Speaker 3:

I wouldn't want to not wear mine, but it seems weird to not wear yours on a construction site.

00:30:06 - 00:30:37 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and he seems like you said he's setting up for the downtown stuff. So he's doing the setup. I can't imagine that he's doing like, it's not like he's hanging from ladders and things like that, is he? Right, he was building a stage. Oh, he's building a stage. Some of them out there are doing like jackhammer or something out there. They're pulling concrete and a lot of stuff. Yeah. So so I mean, if you're if you are working with your hands and it could get stuck somewhere, I could see that that point. But are you trying to get him in trouble with Krista?

00:30:38 - 00:30:48 | Speaker 3:

Yes. No, I just thought it was weird to not wear a ring around. Yeah. It just seemed like a perfect opportunity to pretend like you didn't have a wife.

00:30:49 - 00:30:58 | Speaker 2:

If you're a radio guy and you're not wearing your ring, is there any reason why that should be? We used to have a radio guy, a midday guy that worked here that didn't wear it.

00:30:58 - 00:31:04 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. No, he did in certain places. Yeah, in certain places. And then he didn't in certain places.

00:31:04 - 00:31:05 | Speaker 2:

Sarah, what's going on?

00:31:06 - 00:31:07 | Speaker 1:

Hey, first thing caller.

00:31:08 - 00:31:12 | Speaker 2:

Hey. Sarah's on the phone. What's going on?

00:31:13 - 00:31:26 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so my husband is a fireman, and it's not safe for them to wear their wedding ring. So he doesn't, even on his day off, he just doesn't put it on because he's back and forth to work all the time. So my husband never wears his wedding ring.

00:31:26 - 00:31:31 | Speaker 2:

By the way, what an occupation to not wear your wedding ring. They're hot and they're not wearing their wedding ring, right?

00:31:32 - 00:31:36 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely. Did you ask him for the fine print on that?

00:31:36 - 00:31:40 | Speaker 2:

I want to know if that's a true statement. He's just saying that.

00:31:41 - 00:31:46 | Speaker 4:

No, none of the guys do. It's just not safe. God forbid it gets caught on something. They're going to lose a finger.

00:31:46 - 00:31:51 | Speaker 2:

All right. Well, thank you for him serving. We appreciate that. Thanks for what he does. Where's he a fireman?

00:31:51 - 00:31:54 | Speaker 4:

I hear it to Township.

00:31:54 - 00:31:57 | Speaker 2:

Hello to everybody at the firehouse there. What's going on, Alicia?

00:31:58 - 00:32:00 | Speaker 5:

Hi. How are you guys doing today?

00:32:00 - 00:32:06 | Speaker 2:

We're doing good. Megan's calling out the married guy without the ring. Is there a good reason to not have a ring?

00:32:07 - 00:32:39 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. My husband's in construction, and he's been told, and I've seen lots of written things about the safety. You know, they're working with a lot of metal and sparks and things, and things can get caught, and it's really dangerous. So, yeah, he doesn't wear it, and I'm a nurse, and I don't wear it because, one, with the rubber gloves, with, you know, the gloves, the latex, all that, it can rip, and all the diseases that I encounter, I don't want to bring anything home to my family.

00:32:39 - 00:32:50 | Speaker 2:

Boy, that's an interesting thing. I've never thought about that. the nurses or hospital people that don't wear rings because you got to clean your hands so often, right? And the gloves. Yep. Yep. And jewelry.

00:32:51 - 00:32:59 | Speaker 5:

I don't wear any jewelry at work because it's such a small amount of bacteria or any kind of pathogen and it can really, you know, travel.

00:33:00 - 00:33:11 | Speaker 2:

You've heard, thank you for the call. You've heard of Tyler, the creator. Well, have you heard of Tyler, the plumber? Hi, Tyler. Hi, what's up? What's going on? Tyler, do you wear a ring?

00:33:12 - 00:33:35 | Speaker 6:

No, we're in plumbing, so when we go to solder, it's like you heat up the pipe and then that metal melts and it wraps around the plumbing. Well, a buddy of mine that I used to work with, he had some drip right on his finger and it wrapped right around his finger on his ring and it left a scar, it burned. Ow. Not fun.

00:33:35 - 00:34:21 | Speaker 2:

Ow, ow, ow. Do plumbers get hit on by women? A little bit. I like that. Oh, a little bit. Where do you get hit on? Do you do residential plumbing, or are you doing industrial plumbing? Kind of both. How big is your pipe? That's what I want to know. I went there before you went there, Mike. I beat you to it. I know. I liked it. Oh, God. By the way, I met a winner in our lobby picking up their prize the other day, and they had their, what I thought, husband with them. And it turned out that it wasn't. It was her fiance, but he was wearing an engagement ring, which I thought was very interesting. Yeah, he's a guy that was wearing an engagement ring. It was his choice. He wanted to do it. Logan, what's going on?

00:34:23 - 00:34:23 | Speaker 7:

How are you doing?

00:34:23 - 00:34:25 | Speaker 2:

Good. What's happening? Do you wear a ring?

00:34:26 - 00:34:44 | Speaker 7:

So, no, I'm just, I'm 22. I'm just dating still. But I heard, it's crazy that the plumber came around. I was just going to say, would you want your husband really to wear something that's beautiful, it's delicate, it's probably costly? but you want to wear it on a job site or somewhere dirty where it can get messed up.

00:34:44 - 00:34:47 | Speaker 2:

What about those rubber rings? I think those are kind of cool.

00:34:47 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 7:

Those are cool. Those are cool. But, yeah, I'm not a construction guy. If it is dangerous, that would suck. Also, some people just don't like wearing rings. I know my father has his ring tattooed on him.

00:35:00 - 00:35:11 | Speaker 2:

and she doesn't like the feeling of the ring. Yeah, that's a mistake. Why? Because. Kiss of death. That's a kiss of death, any kind of tattoo like that. I'd be careful of that.

00:35:11 - 00:35:17 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I don't know. They've been together for 30-plus years now. That's right, Logan. I don't know if I would.

00:35:17 - 00:35:58 | Speaker 2:

Are they still in love, do you think, after 30-plus years? Some days. Hey, Logan, Logan, how's his pipe? Yeah, right. Do you ever think, it's so funny, I was thinking about this the other day. I don't know why I was thinking about this, but I was thinking, like, to my kids, like, you know, Chelsea and I are, like, Logan's parents, right? Because we've been married for such a long time. And I'm thinking that if I ever want to gross them out, all I sit there and do is, like, do sexual innuendo jokes. They get so worked up. Oh, my God. Jacob actually said, this is the reason why I'm gay. Like, he was like, this is just the idea of the thought of you and mom together. What's going on, Josh? Hey, how are you? Good. What's going on?

00:35:58 - 00:36:01 | Speaker 1:

Not much. I just want to say first-time caller. Yes!

00:36:02 - 00:36:05 | Speaker 2:

Josh is on the phone. Welcome to the club. What's happening?

00:36:06 - 00:36:24 | Speaker 1:

Thanks, man. I just wanted to comment on that wedding ring. I work in corrections, and a wedding ring on the finger is a good symbol to, obviously, a lot of people, and especially dealing with inmates and whatnot. It's just kind of unnecessary information you want them to know type of career.

00:36:24 - 00:36:27 | Speaker 2:

Oh, so you don't want them to know that you have a family at home.

00:36:28 - 00:36:29 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

00:36:29 - 00:36:33 | Speaker 3:

That is so interesting. Makes sense, though. Makes a lot of sense. Yeah. Terrifying.

00:36:33 - 00:36:43 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. It avoids a lot of questions and, you know, them getting to know you even more and Lauren knows what they'll look up on the outside when they get out.

00:36:43 - 00:36:56 | Speaker 2:

Whoa. Can you tell if somebody is trying to get information about you, like if they, you know, ask you certain questions and stuff like that? Like, do you ever wonder if they're doing stuff like something like that?

00:36:56 - 00:37:26 | Speaker 1:

uh yeah i mean i i me personally i'm have a lot of tattoos and one of them i have a sleeve a tattoo of with or my arm is a sleeve of my family uh so i get asked a lot of questions but uh you know i kind of just yeah avoid it and let them kind of think what they want to think i mean they even try to guess my first name because my name only my last name's on my uniform and uh i just i just

00:37:26 - 00:37:43 | Speaker 2:

let them keep guessing you know that's wild man i get you got to think to yourself you don't and who knows i don't know what kind of you know people that you're uh you got there in your prison but any of them single for megan would you would you still date one uh from uh from a prison megan

00:37:43 - 00:37:48 | Speaker 3:

oh absolutely especially after watching unlocked on netflix i'm obsessed with inmates again

00:37:48 - 00:37:56 | Speaker 2:

uh what kind of inmate are you looking for are you looking for somebody that's done like i don't know like white collar crime or are you looking for somebody that's like

00:37:56 - 00:38:07 | Speaker 3:

murder yeah no i'm looking for somebody with life without parole okay you know what i mean like i'll marry you but i never want to see you that's like a perfect husband right alexis

00:38:07 - 00:38:30 | Speaker 4:

hi hi long time listener first time call man we got a lot of first timers welcome hi um i just like to say that my husband has commented this before that um he does wear his wedding ring to work but he does get hit on often and he said it's almost like an attraction for

00:38:30 - 00:38:54 | Speaker 2:

some women what kind of work does he do he is a physical therapist wow so he's adjusting people and stretching people and touching people and they start flirting with him huh yes yeah that's That's wild. Lucky bastard. Especially a lot of older women. Oh, really? That's flattering still. Who cares, right?

00:38:54 - 00:38:58 | Speaker 3:

I was going to say, my sister's a PT, and most of her patients are over the age of 80.

00:38:58 - 00:39:15 | Speaker 2:

They're all 80-year-old people? All right, it's Mojo in the Morning Show. So Lydia got pulled over by the cops this weekend and bawled crying. Did it work to help her get out of a ticket? We're going to find out right now. So what were you doing, Lydia? Were you speeding and you got pulled over?

00:39:15 - 00:39:22 | Speaker 5:

Um, yes, some may say I was speeding, but for the sake of this, uh, not if you were speeding.

00:39:22 - 00:39:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Don't admit to anything, right?

00:39:24 - 00:39:49 | Speaker 5:

Don't say verbally. You don't. Um, no, I was coming home from Kona Grill on a girl's night out and future in Metro Boomin just came out with that song, um, like that. Yes. Yeah. And I have been completely obsessed with it. So I was just paying attention to the song and not to anything else around me. and I ended up getting flicked by the cops. And then, I mean, I guess I got pulled over.

00:39:50 - 00:39:58 | Speaker 2:

What did you call it? You got what? She got flicked. You got flicked by the cops. Is that, wait, is that the term that's used when you're getting pulled over?

00:39:58 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 3:

It's a certain colloquialism.

00:39:59 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 2:

Is it?

00:40:00 - 00:40:08 | Speaker 3:

So you got to hit him with a little one too Hit him with the streets and the science I like that, that's kind of cool Shannon, you ever use that?

00:40:08 - 00:40:09 | Speaker 1:

I've never heard of it

00:40:09 - 00:40:12 | Speaker 3:

No, that's cool, I like that You got flicked by the cops

00:40:12 - 00:40:54 | Speaker 1:

I got flicked by the cops And I immediately knew what I was doing wrong Although I also had my phone in my hand So I didn't know which one he was getting me for And when he flicked me I was going 36 So I pulled over And he gets out of the car And he's like, you know, you're going 20 over. And I'm like, OK, OK. I've never been pulled over like in a while. I haven't. It's been like two or three years. So it's been a minute. And he walks away and he comes back and he was like, all right, I need to see your official insurance. And I was like, what do you mean? And he's like, do you actually pay for your insurance? And I'm like, yeah, yeah, I do. He's like, you gave me an expired insurance.

00:40:54 - 00:40:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no.

00:40:55 - 00:41:01 | Speaker 1:

So I'm going to have to ticket you for both speeding and for not showing me real proof of insurance.

00:41:02 - 00:41:08 | Speaker 4:

But do you have real insurance? Like you have insurance that's up to date or no? Yeah. You just handed him the wrong thing.

00:41:08 - 00:41:30 | Speaker 1:

I handed him the wrong thing. What a jerk, though. And he still gave you a ticket for that? Well, I started crying because immediately I felt guilty for something that I didn't intentionally do, of course. And I was kind of pleading with him. I'm like, you know, I haven't had much on my record before. Like, please, like, let me off. And he's like, nope, it's the two tickets. Like, you got to take it, and I'm letting you go. And I was like, okay, I'll have my lawyer, you know, go to court for me.

00:41:31 - 00:41:32 | Speaker 3:

Oh, geez, you pulled the lawyer thing out.

00:41:32 - 00:41:40 | Speaker 1:

I did, but I was crying at the same time. Oh, no. So I thought maybe you'd feel guilty for me. No! Why? Now when you pull out the lawyer card, he was like, what was that?

00:41:40 - 00:41:48 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, right. You got to just cry. You just got to go with it. You got to make, what you got to do is you got to say, my dad's going to kill me.

00:41:48 - 00:41:59 | Speaker 2:

He's going to be so upset. I did that once, and I cried when the cop pulled me over, and he was like, it's just a ticket. And I was like, I'm not scared of you. I'm scared of my father.

00:42:03 - 00:42:16 | Speaker 4:

I have never, ever, ever gotten out of a ticket. Really? I mean, aside from sending my friend, who is a lawyer, to court to fight a ticket for me, but with a police officer next to my window, I've never gotten out of a ticket. Really? No, if I get pulled over, I get the ticket.

00:42:16 - 00:42:19 | Speaker 3:

Do you get pulled over much in that Buick? Because I would think that they would sit there and say-

00:42:19 - 00:42:24 | Speaker 4:

I have not gotten pulled over in a really long time. Since I've been driving the Buick, I have not gotten pulled over.

00:42:24 - 00:42:26 | Speaker 3:

I'm telling you. And I'm not joking by saying this.

00:42:26 - 00:42:30 | Speaker 4:

Go see my friends at Moran Buick GMC. You will not get pulled over.

00:42:30 - 00:42:53 | Speaker 3:

I'm not going to lie. A buddy of mine who's a cop told me that they will see the car that's being, you know, that's driving, and Lydia drives a car that is a very high-speeding car. Okay? She's got a Jeep Cherokee, right? Yep. A Jeep Grand Cherokee. Shannon, if they see somebody like in a Buick, which is yours, which are very nice cars.

00:42:53 - 00:42:55 | Speaker 4:

By the way, best car I've ever owned, not joking.

00:42:55 - 00:43:01 | Speaker 3:

They sometimes won't pull over you because they just go, oh, it wasn't that going over.

00:43:02 - 00:43:07 | Speaker 4:

That poor mom's probably tired. She doesn't even know how fast she's going.

00:43:07 - 00:43:10 | Speaker 3:

We don't want to mess with the mom van.

00:43:10 - 00:43:20 | Speaker 1:

I almost pulled the period card out on him. Like, oh, I'm trying to get home because I started my period. Why didn't you? Oh, I bet that works every time. Well, because then I would have had to show him my pants and my pants. No.

00:43:20 - 00:43:29 | Speaker 3:

I'm not going to ask to see your pants. They cannot ask that. No. That would be a funny response. Let me see your pants. Oh, my God. Prove it.

00:43:29 - 00:43:32 | Speaker 2:

You don't look like you got periods going on up in there.

00:43:32 - 00:43:33 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:43:33 - 00:43:35 | Speaker 2:

Show me. No. Let me see you.

00:43:35 - 00:44:05 | Speaker 3:

I'll tell you what. As far as a guy is concerned, you talk about a girl's period, I'll let you do whatever you want. You want a day off from work? All right, go ahead. Whatever. I'm not going to actually mess with you. Facts. I'm shutting down after that. Yeah. Yeah, that's not going to happen. We'll improve it next time. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Lydia cried while getting pulled over with the cops, and she still got the ticket. What did she do wrong? What's the story here? Come on now. We know what she did wrong.

00:44:05 - 00:44:07 | Speaker 1:

I did do something wrong.

00:44:07 - 00:44:08 | Speaker 3:

What? You pulled the lawyer card.

00:44:08 - 00:44:35 | Speaker 1:

Well, before that, I mean, I was speeding. Okay. Fair enough. allegedly but but what did you pull attitude though no i was so sad and scared that i and i was really polite with him i have to be honest like i was asking him if it was okay that i reached over to pull out you know my insurance card yeah i was telling him yeah that you know i was just telling him where i was placing my hands because i get scared of that stuff yeah as you should

00:44:35 - 00:44:45 | Speaker 3:

that's really respectful yeah what's going on uh mojo in the morning hi how are you how are you good what's happening have you ever gotten out a ticket by doing a little tears

00:44:45 - 00:44:51 | Speaker 1:

i have i told them i was on my period oh you did the period worked

00:44:51 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 3:

yep it did work so what did you say what did you say you said you were racing to go and get home because you were having

00:45:00 - 00:45:11 | Speaker 7:

your period i just said that i my period was going through my pants and that i had to get home

00:45:11 - 00:45:17 | Speaker 2:

and he said okay drive safe wow i want to do that works that's amazing what's up mojo in the morning

00:45:17 - 00:45:58 | Speaker 9:

hi hey hi shan hi what's going on it's curious um i actually have two stories about getting out is one my aunt was headed to another aunt's house with a bag of prunes because she was constipated after having a baby and she was speeding and so she ripped open the bag of prunes and acted like she was about to poop her pants so she got out of that and another time we didn't even realize you were speeding but my ex-husband and i were coming home from something and at the time i was going through chemo and i was bald and the guy saw my head and was like uh you guys can go

00:45:58 - 00:46:17 | Speaker 2:

yeah yeah yeah wow that's you know what man god love him for doing that you know what i mean that you didn't need a ticket on top of everything uh love you kirst what's happening kristin hi how are you lydia got a ticket even though she cried to the cops

00:46:17 - 00:46:38 | Speaker 6:

yeah so i had got pulled over for speeding um when i showed the cop my id and everything it was a florida id because i had recently just moved back to michigan and he said that he had lived in the same county that i did in florida so he let me get off oh that's nice well i like that

00:46:38 - 00:46:49 | Speaker 2:

just out of the blue he looks at it and says we're from the same place that doesn't happen often unless you have like a whole glove box full of different counties and then you're arrested for something else.

00:46:49 - 00:46:51 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you're from Florida, which part? Hold on.

00:46:53 - 00:46:57 | Speaker 2:

This is pretty wild. Should we take this one right here?

00:46:57 - 00:46:59 | Speaker 1:

Can any guys call up? Like, what the hell?

00:46:59 - 00:47:09 | Speaker 2:

Guys don't get out of anything. They got out of one, but it was a technicality. That's called the DWG, driving while guy. What's happening, Danny?

00:47:10 - 00:47:31 | Speaker 8:

Yes, hi. I was on my way to a second date in Royal Oak to the Detroit Zoo, and I got pulled over. I was confused. I'd never been to the area, and he pulled me over. He was super nice, but when he handed me the ticket, he said, I hope it's worth it.

00:47:32 - 00:47:33 | Speaker 3:

Oh, wow.

00:47:34 - 00:47:44 | Speaker 8:

He knew I was going on the date because I explained to him, like, I'm on my way to a date. I'm going to be late, and he literally handed me the ticket and was like, I hope it's worth it.

00:47:45 - 00:47:57 | Speaker 2:

That's a dick move. I would go to court, and I would tell the judge that. I would say, and, by the way, this is what he said to me, because if you're a judge, you look at that, especially if you're a female judge, that seems pretty degrading to say.

00:47:57 - 00:48:00 | Speaker 1:

It's your word against his, though. You better hope he got the little dash cam.

00:48:01 - 00:48:12 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's the thing. Somebody said something about the body cam. 586 says we should do a FOIA request to get Lydia's dash cam or police body cam video. Could you imagine that? We can do that.

00:48:12 - 00:48:14 | Speaker 7:

Yes. Freedom of Information Act.

00:48:14 - 00:48:19 | Speaker 2:

Let's do it. That would be awesome. Hey, Brandon, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. What's up?

00:48:19 - 00:48:24 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Mojo, what's going on? Kev, Megan, Shannon, Mike, everybody. How you doing?

00:48:24 - 00:48:25 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, Brandon.

00:48:25 - 00:48:28 | Speaker 2:

I love it, man. Thank you for remembering everybody. What's happening?

00:48:29 - 00:49:13 | Speaker 5:

Kevin, I got it. I'm a guy that got out of a speeding ticket. Stop. Really? What happened? 100%. so it was like 1 30 in the morning i got a phone call from this chick and she stayed like 10 minutes away from me and i had to get there in five bro i'm doing 75 in a 55 didn't even see the cop pull out behind me all i saw was the light and he comes up to the window i give him all my information he was like where are you going in such a hurry i was like i just got a phone call from a you know a female he was like okay i'll be right back ran all my information and while he was running my information he got a call for something more important than me speeding

00:49:13 - 00:49:25 | Speaker 2:

wow and he let you go he let me go no ticket so he went back there to see if you were wanted by the law for anything and then realized there was something else more important or that you had a

00:49:25 - 00:49:33 | Speaker 4:

booty call which one did he like my booty he he liked the booty call yeah he liked the booty call He didn't want to admit it, but that's what he said.

00:49:33 - 00:49:38 | Speaker 2:

You got to love it, man. You know what? Even that officer likes a little booty call, too.

00:49:39 - 00:49:42 | Speaker 5:

I'm trying to tell you. I'm trying to get Megan to let me get a booty call.

00:49:43 - 00:49:44 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Megan.

00:49:45 - 00:49:45 | Speaker 5:

What's that credit score?

00:49:47 - 00:49:48 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, what's your credit score?

00:49:50 - 00:49:51 | Speaker 5:

It's a little low.

00:49:53 - 00:49:54 | Speaker 2:

Listen.

00:49:54 - 00:49:55 | Speaker 5:

I'm working on it, though.

00:49:56 - 00:49:56 | Speaker 2:

He's rebuilding.

00:49:57 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 4:

I just really love your honesty. That's right. I do.

00:49:59 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 2:

Brandon.

00:50:00 - 00:50:04 | Speaker 5:

I'll give you some booty, buddy, for that good call. Thank you, man. I appreciate it.

00:50:04 - 00:50:06 | Speaker 3:

You guys love you guys. I listen every morning.

00:50:07 - 00:50:55 | Speaker 5:

We love you, too. We love you, too. Take care, Brandon. I'm sorry. Did I cut him off? I think I might have. What's up, Rachel? Hi. Hi. How are you? Good. We were talking about Lydia crying to get out of a speeding ticket. And out of anybody here, if any of the other girls would have done it, I would have said, you know what, that is ridiculous that they didn't get out of a speeding ticket for doing it. Lydia, of all people, she's like a saint, an angel. You know what I think it was? I was realizing this. It's the Chaldean girl attitude. You gave a little Chaldean girl attitude because you were coming. Where were you coming from, Lydia? You were coming from a bar or something? Kona Grill. You were coming from Kona Grill, so you're all dressed probably like you always do. Lydia, have you ever noticed that Lydia, when she dresses on the weekends, I don't even recognize her. Oh, she's a whole different person.

00:50:55 - 00:51:01 | Speaker 2:

Full hair and makeup. I'm like, who did your hair? Who did your makeup? Oh, my aunt, my cousin. I wish I had your family.

00:51:01 - 00:51:12 | Speaker 5:

Rachel, you got to see her. She dresses up on a Friday or Saturday night. And I honestly, like, I feel for her father. Like, I'm worried for her, you know, being out there like that.

00:51:12 - 00:51:17 | Speaker 6:

It's like Fiona in Shrek. At night, she turn into something. You're awesome.

00:51:21 - 00:51:27 | Speaker 4:

Our lovely Lydia. She's the angel of the show. But every now and then, a chick's got to shake some breezy ass, right?

00:51:28 - 00:51:30 | Speaker 6:

Yes, I'm shaking some breezy ass.

00:51:32 - 00:51:34 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:51:35 - 00:51:36 | Unknown:

Dirty.

00:51:36 - 00:51:45 | Speaker 3:

Is this the second Dirty? Yeah. I don't like doing Kanye West stories. Why? Because I feel like you give me, like, the side eye when I do.

00:51:46 - 00:51:47 | Speaker 6:

I've been chilling lately. I've been quiet.

00:51:47 - 00:54:26 | Speaker 3:

Okay. I want your thoughts on this one because there are three different sources that are speaking to the New York Post about this, okay? And these three sources are all saying that Kanye is back to huffing laughing gas again, like nitrous. Yeah. And he had an issue with this before. Am I correct in saying that? And it had to do because he went to the dentist. Like, there was some, there was an issue with this before. But one quote unquote friend, and I'm using air quotes here of Kanye's telling the New York Post when he got back to L.A. after being in Japan, he got dental work again and everybody's thinking that that's when he relapsed. A second source telling the Post that Ye's nitrous use has been a major pain point in his marriage to Bianca and that person saying the nitrous took over in L.A. after the Grammy party. so this was beginning of february he met people it kind of escalated to things that he never did anymore when he's in japan but now he's in la again and the opportunity presented itself a third source telling the post that he's been using nitrous as like a medication of sorts so it's become an issue again yeah uh criminal negligence charges against three of the the five people indicted in connection with the death of One Direction's Liam Payne at that Buenos Aires hotel have been dropped. This is really interesting to me. So the Argentinian Federal Appeals Court ordered the two other defendants, a former employee at this Casa Sur hotel and a waiter who had served Liam to remain in custody. They are charged with supplying him the narcotics. As for those other three, the court ruled that Rogelio Norris, who is a businessman man who accompanied Liam on the trip he had no obligation to care for Liam in any of his inebriated states and then there were two hotel employees that had previously been labeled as negligent or reckless by returning Liam to his room where he ultimately you know whatever happened whether he fell or jumped off that balcony they are at this point off the hook for that. That's kind of crazy. Yeah, I thought so too. Tom Holland went on a pretty hilarious adventure to buy his own non-alcoholic beer. It's called Bureau at a Target here in the United States. Got carded in the process for non-alcoholic beer. Is that normal? I don't think so. I buy Athletic, which is non-alcoholic beer, like sometimes for Wes, if he's in like a non-drinking

00:54:26 - 00:55:59 | Speaker 1:

you know phase or whatever I don't I don't think I've ever gotten I don't know here we go okay so success I found some I bought it they wouldn't accept my ID because it's English and I couldn't prove my age so a really lovely employee I guess scanned their ID um and uh just kind of ironic I wasn't allowed to buy my own product own product you ever just go Google me Leslie, have you guys seen the new Starbucks cold cups that are about to roll out? Everybody here. I'm going to show them to you in the studio and then I'll describe them to you if you're listening. This is what they look like. Oh, I hate those. So no more plastic and those plastic lids. So Starbucks fans are furious over these new compostable cup designs that have already popped up in 14 states. So they're doing away with the signature plastic cup and they're offering these sustainable fiber-based paper bioplastic liner cups. It's probably the same as the hot coffees, but thicker. Yeah, and the lids are a dome shape instead of that flat cover with the insert for the straws. I mean, if you go on Reddit, there are just, this is not sitting well with Starbucks drinkers. Everybody is expressing their distaste with the new cups. And they basically say they're like paper straws. they just, like after you have a liquid in them for a certain amount of time, they just get like soggy.

00:55:59 - 00:56:14 | Speaker 2:

But hot coffee cups from Starbucks don't do that. So why would you? I don't know. So here's my thing. Every time people get up in arms about Starbucks cups, it makes me think of that Kourtney Kardashian line where it's like, there are people that are dying, Kim. For sure.

00:56:15 - 00:56:33 | Speaker 1:

For sure. They're also saying that the lid has a really odd taste and texture. Okay, that I don't like. So when you take a sip of your drink, it alters the taste of your drink. That's not cool. Yeah, I don't know when we're getting them here in Michigan or Ohio, but nonetheless, you'll see them at some point. For all of today's Dirty, catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

Get more dirt at MojoInTheMorning.com. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:56:40 - 00:56:50 | Speaker 5:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. I did not know that you owned pink, not black, not brown, pink gator shoes.

00:56:50 - 00:56:54 | Speaker 3:

Stink Pink Gators. This is the ones Biggie was talking about in the song, man. That's right.

00:56:55 - 00:56:58 | Speaker 5:

Pink Stink Gators, my Detroit players.

00:56:58 - 00:56:58 | Speaker 3:

Come on now.

00:56:59 - 00:57:21 | Speaker 5:

Hey. By the way, I would like to borrow those. My pimp is getting out of jail this week. And I would like to pick them up at the Detroit Police Department jail lockup. Those are amazing. You got to come in style. You also saw another crazy animal sighting, too, huh?

00:57:22 - 00:58:23 | Speaker 3:

It was an animal weekend for me. So I go to the post office, and I don't know if I'm just attracting weird things, if this is like my Mercury retrograde area where things are being attracted to me. Oh, my God. Yeah, weird stuff. So, yeah, so I'm in the post office and filling out some stuff, shipping some boxes, and i see a lady with this very very large backpack on and it's not like a normal backpack it kind of looks like a hiker's backpack where you can put different stuff in it she's got like pockets she's got compartments i'm like the hell is this thing yeah so i finished my business and i'm starting to walk out and i notice that she's like turned around like putting something inside of some boxes and I look at her backpack and there's a cat inside of it and never in my life have I heard that song but never in my life have I seen a cat in a backpack did it have one of those bubbles

00:58:23 - 00:58:27 | Speaker 2:

yeah did it have the bubble I've seen it did not have a bubble let me show you the picture I took

00:58:27 - 00:58:33 | Speaker 3:

a picture because nobody in my life would believe me unless I have video evidence but it did not

00:58:33 - 00:58:39 | Speaker 2:

have a bubble it was just in a bag oh it's like a like a travel cat yeah i didn't even know they

00:58:39 - 00:58:55 | Speaker 4:

made these things yeah this is a real thing yeah yeah i'm sorry i don't know many cat people it's not no i don't say it's normal but it's a real thing it's funny because we see people with

00:58:55 - 00:59:06 | Speaker 5:

purse puppies and stuff like that people that put their purses you know their puppies in their I think those people look a little, you know, I don't know, weird doing that. But the cat seems like even weirder.

00:59:07 - 00:59:08 | Speaker 1:

The backpack, yeah.

00:59:09 - 00:59:14 | Speaker 5:

Cats just don't seem like they want to be in those, you know?

00:59:14 - 00:59:19 | Speaker 2:

Right, but sometimes you just want to make sure that they understand what the world is like without losing them.

00:59:20 - 00:59:24 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but don't you feel like they hate every moment of it in those things?

00:59:24 - 00:59:31 | Speaker 2:

I think there's two kinds of cats. There's the cats that absolutely love it and the cats that wish that they could destroy your soul.

00:59:32 - 00:59:40 | Speaker 1:

Still, nothing is weirder to me than the strollers. Truly, like the people pushing the stroller with any animal in it. I just.

00:59:41 - 00:59:42 | Speaker 5:

It wasn't my idea.

00:59:42 - 00:59:55 | Speaker 1:

I know. I honestly wasn't going to bring up you because I brought it up so many times. But I know I like I saw a lady doing it over the weekend and Smith stopped her because he wanted to pet the dog. And I'm like, doesn't your dog need like isn't the point of walking your dog so the dog gets exercise?

00:59:55 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 2:

I always wonder is that dog 8 million years old and you're just like is

01:00:00 - 01:00:04 | Speaker 3:

is this the last day on earth do we need some fresh air i mean my dog is eight million years

01:00:04 - 01:00:08 | Speaker 4:

old and i still at least take them around the block not for a long walk anymore but around the

01:00:08 - 01:00:35 | Speaker 1:

block i have a neighbor that gets mad at me anytime that uh i uh point out that her dog is in a stroller because if she says that her her animal is not doing well which i get it you know but yeah but with the the whole idea of bringing your cat to the where was this at the post office Does the cat really want to go to the post office? Does the cat want to stay at home and enjoy the home without the person there?

01:00:35 - 01:00:41 | Speaker 4:

Maybe the post office was just one of many stops for the day. And so she didn't want to leave the kitty at home. Why not, though?

01:00:42 - 01:00:46 | Speaker 1:

And what, is it too hot to stay in the car then, or what? I mean, it was too hot yesterday.

01:00:47 - 01:00:49 | Speaker 4:

I cannot believe I'm defending a cat on her window.

01:00:49 - 01:00:57 | Speaker 1:

here's something weirder than a purse puppy and a cat uh cat pack becky are you there

01:00:57 - 01:01:22 | Speaker 3:

hello hi becky yeah i put i have two smaller parrots and i have one of those cat bubble backpacks and i we put them in the backpacks for walks no that's me that's that's cruel and unusual punishment for a bird like you could be out there but you're not i tried to harness train them, and it didn't work, so that's the next best thing to get them outside.

01:01:23 - 01:01:30 | Speaker 1:

Do you think your parents really want to go on a walk, or do you think they would rather just be at home in the living room on their perch?

01:01:31 - 01:01:35 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. They might be a little scared sometimes, but we do it.

01:01:37 - 01:01:47 | Speaker 1:

Trucker Erin just sent in and said that if anybody gets KP in the company Christmas pool that we have at the end of the year, that we've got to get her one of these for Bubba.

01:01:49 - 01:01:51 | Speaker 2:

I honestly hated it, but I would love him in a bubble.

01:01:52 - 01:01:59 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Cat people don't like our show until KP started and we got a cat person.

01:02:00 - 01:02:03 | Speaker 3:

What is the disrespect of you ignoring the fact that...

01:02:03 - 01:02:13 | Speaker 1:

Why does everything have to be about you, Megan? I just made a point that was to move on to the next call. But go ahead. Tell everybody about your dead cat, man. Jesus Christ. Go ahead.

01:02:13 - 01:02:16 | Speaker 3:

Tell everybody about your dick.

01:02:16 - 01:02:18 | Speaker 1:

Go ahead. Tell everybody. God rest her soul.

01:02:19 - 01:02:20 | Speaker 3:

I'm still a cat person.

01:02:20 - 01:02:24 | Speaker 1:

Her name was? Sophie. Sophie.

01:02:24 - 01:02:25 | Speaker 4:

She was 20.

01:02:25 - 01:02:26 | Speaker 1:

Hello, Sophie.

01:02:26 - 01:02:27 | Speaker 4:

Dang.

01:02:27 - 01:02:48 | Speaker 1:

We had the death psychic in studio with us and couldn't pick up on anybody. And she goes, I got a Sophie here. And Megan jumps up right away. That was my cat. All right. Let's talk to Sophie. Jessica, what's going on? Jessica, what's up?

01:02:49 - 01:02:57 | Speaker 2:

So I went camping at Ludington State Park this weekend, and our camping neighbors had a hammock, and they were keeping a cat in it.

01:02:58 - 01:03:03 | Speaker 1:

Oh. A hammock. That's amazing that the cat actually is calm in a hammock.

01:03:04 - 01:03:23 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it had like a little bug netting over it, so it couldn't escape. It wasn't closed, but it kept falling into like the bottom part of the nettings, and it was all like sprawled out, and its owners had to go help it back up. And in the middle of the night, there was a bunch of owls all over, and our camping neighbors had to leave because the cat was so freaked out. But just strange. I've never seen a cat in any situation like that before.

01:03:24 - 01:03:35 | Speaker 1:

You know what's amazing about that is that I always thought cats never wanted to actually be confined to anything. And here you are talking that cats seem like they're very calm animals.

01:03:36 - 01:03:38 | Speaker 2:

I don't know if I would say it was happy, but it was there.

01:03:40 - 01:03:57 | Speaker 1:

I guess. I like the people that have, like, pet snakes and things like that. And I wonder if any of these people with pet snakes or maybe the guy that had the alligator that Kev went to go out and try to see at Kensington Metro Park that probably let it go. Like, do they bring those on walks? You know?

01:03:57 - 01:03:59 | Speaker 4:

I bet some of them do.

01:04:00 - 01:04:10 | Speaker 1:

I wanted our boss, Tony, lives on a farm. Like, he and his family have a farm. And I wanted to see if Tony would ever let us just go take his animals for walks.

01:04:11 - 01:04:12 | Speaker 4:

I would love to do that.

01:04:12 - 01:04:13 | Speaker 1:

What would y'all want to walk?

01:04:13 - 01:04:14 | Speaker 4:

His goats.

01:04:14 - 01:04:16 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. You would want to walk the goats?

01:04:16 - 01:04:17 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I love goats.

01:04:19 - 01:04:26 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. There was a story last week that I saw about a person that had a goat as...

01:04:26 - 01:04:28 | Speaker 4:

Like an emotional support animal?

01:04:28 - 01:04:33 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, an emotional support animal. And there was a restaurant that was fighting them, saying that they didn't want them to bring in the goat.

01:04:33 - 01:04:47 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I do think we're getting a little crazy with the emotional support animals. Mind you, I love that animals do provide emotional support for some people, but sometimes I'm like, a goat? How did that happen?

01:04:47 - 01:04:49 | Speaker 1:

For a while, they were doing goat yoga.

01:04:49 - 01:04:50 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:04:50 - 01:04:54 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. And they made it seem like it helped. Yeah. Hey, Jennifer, what's up? Good morning.

01:04:55 - 01:05:00 | Speaker 3:

Hey, good morning. Morning. I just wanted to say...

01:05:00 - 01:05:08 | Speaker 4:

Mojo, Jesus, Mary, that was so wrong of you to say that about Megan's cat. The gas I just got in my car.

01:05:08 - 01:05:28 | Speaker 5:

What did I say that was so wrong about it? I bring up that Megan never had the cat since she was been on our show with us. Okay? She had it prior. But when I say that we have an official cat person on the show, that she gets offended that I don't call her a cat lady. I've never known any woman that wants to be called the cat lady.

01:05:30 - 01:05:43 | Speaker 4:

I know, but it was just so... Megan, I'm on your side, girl. Jennifer, I appreciate you. He won't ever change his waist. You just got to learn to accept the wild things he says while not taking responsibility for it.

01:05:43 - 01:05:55 | Speaker 5:

Here's what I'm going to say. I'm going to say this. This is the only morning show, because I know Allison down the hall is a cat lady. This is the only morning show that has two cat ladies on it. Are we happy now?

01:05:56 - 01:05:59 | Speaker 1:

Sure. Yeah. Oh, we have a cat dad, too. Don't forget about Mike.

01:06:00 - 01:06:01 | Speaker 5:

Stop it. I hate it. Oh, my God. I hate my dad.

01:06:01 - 01:06:03 | Speaker 4:

Don't forget about Sweetie. I know.

01:06:04 - 01:06:12 | Speaker 5:

We can forget about her. Sweetie the cat. It's Mojo in the morning. I have to tell you guys that I might be that nosy neighbor. Might be. What? I might be. Yeah.

01:06:12 - 01:06:13 | Speaker 3:

What?

01:06:13 - 01:06:57 | Speaker 5:

I had some neighborhood, a little neighborhood drama going on. I saw the West of Bloomfield Police Department out in front of a neighbor's house. And whenever you see this, you always want to know what's going on, right? Mm-hmm. Yeah. I mean, I don't even want to know for my safety. I want to know just because I want to know what the hell's happening. I can pinpoint these people that live in my neighborhood and tell you which ones I think are the shady ones. They all live at the end of our block. The people at the beginning of our block, you guys are normal people because I'm right there with you. I'm actually kind of in the middle. But the people at the end of the block, I'm telling you, man, they're part of some kind of a crime family or something. I don't know. Meth labs. Yeah. There's Jesse and...

01:06:58 - 01:07:02 | Speaker 2:

Walter. And Walter. I love all their names. Mr. Ree.

01:07:02 - 01:07:18 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, they're all hanging out in the basement, you know, burning meth together. So I see the police there, and I said to Chelsea, hey, do you see the cops are down the street? And she goes, yeah. And I go, give me the leashes. She goes, what?

01:07:18 - 01:07:19 | Speaker 3:

Give me the leashes.

01:07:19 - 01:07:51 | Speaker 5:

I says, give me the leashes. I need a reason to go walk down the street. So I put Henry and Louie on their little designer leashes that Chelsea bought for them that are ridiculous, and I have to hold these things and walk down with these little purse puppies, and I had to go walk down the street just to kind of see what was going on. And usually I know most of the West Bloomfield cops, although it seems like now they've hired a whole bunch of new ones, which, by the way, they got the hot Chaldean girls now as cops now. Have you ever seen that? Cab, I know you live in West Bloomfield.

01:07:51 - 01:07:57 | Speaker 3:

I'll get pulled over by the uglies, bro. I'll get the right ones.

01:07:57 - 01:09:11 | Speaker 5:

it's crazy I was at a traffic light the other day I'm looking in the car next to me I'm like holy crap that's like a model in that car so um so I walked down the street and I can see the cops out in front of the house and they're talking and then I see that you know how things look shady when you see the person's door open and the screen door is like held open too and like they're letting all the bugs and stuff get in the house and I'm like man there must be something going on in that place and I'm trying to hear what's going on and Henry and Louie are there and I'm like you guys take as much time as you want to poop and I'm just trying to listen trying to listen and then I started thinking to myself I'm like I got like bad hearing from wearing these headphones all the time in my you know ears during the the show and I'm like can't you guys speak up a little louder like I want to know what's what's happening here and I found myself after a while going all right I got to go because I've been out here for like five or ten minutes. You know, Henry's looking at me going, you've never spent this much time with us. And I'm trying to figure it out, and I'm going, man, I got to find a better way. Like, I need one of those police scanners. Like, somebody needs, tell me where you buy a police, I want a police scanner to be able to scan my neighborhood to see what's going on.

01:09:11 - 01:09:19 | Speaker 4:

I want to say they even, and I don't know this for sure, so somebody can call in, but they have apps, like scanner apps, so you don't have to go out and buy one even. and you can just download something.

01:09:20 - 01:09:21 | Speaker 1:

Are you on the Nextdoor app?

01:09:22 - 01:09:31 | Speaker 5:

The Nextdoor app by neighborhood is just nothing but silly stupidness. All it is is somebody left a poop bag sitting on the side of the road.

01:09:31 - 01:09:33 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but this is when it comes in handy. Yeah, yeah.

01:09:33 - 01:09:46 | Speaker 5:

For all of the gossip and the tea. But I want, like, on the Nextdoor app, you know, crazy bitch called the cops on me, you know? Like, I want stuff like that.

01:09:46 - 01:09:52 | Speaker 2:

Mike's right. Like, if you go to the app store, there's literally an app that says police scanner app. I don't know how legit you are. I don't know how legit you are.

01:09:52 - 01:09:53 | Speaker 1:

How legit is that?

01:09:53 - 01:09:57 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. You know, there are ads. Join millions of people worldwide. Yeah.

01:09:58 - 01:10:59 | Speaker 1:

You would be the guy that would be... at home Chelsea would have to do an intervention a police scanner I would be non-stop on that thing and when I would be listening to that the police scanner app which which one's the best one the police scanner fire one I'm downloading it right now you gotta download them all download them and what do what do I do wait what do I do do I when I get into the police scanner app do I put my destination or does it ask me for like my zip code or something i have no idea this is the one where you know how it always says can it follow you i put all the time i want always on um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is there anybody that's actually done the police scanner app in their neighborhood and found out something crazy or is there anybody that does what I just did, like takes the dogs for a walk to go see what crazy stuff's going on. Dawn, you got a suggestion for us?

01:11:00 - 01:11:09 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. So I used to work for a municipality, and the best scanner app that I've found is called Broadcastify. I just texted you that, Mojo.

01:11:10 - 01:11:11 | Speaker 1:

Broadcastify.

01:11:12 - 01:11:20 | Speaker 5:

Yes, it's a really good one. You can pick your favorite departments to listen to, areas to listen to. It's really good.

01:11:20 - 01:11:25 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Hold on. Do I have to log into the thing, though, huh? I have to set up an account?

01:11:26 - 01:11:26 | Speaker 5:

No.

01:11:27 - 01:11:41 | Speaker 1:

No? Okay, because I'm looking. The one that Kev just sent me here says, I want to try to see if I can find out. Here, let's see if I can listen to one of these ones. All feeds. We're picking it right now. Have you ever heard anything on one of these?

01:11:42 - 01:11:51 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah. Every time I hear shots fired in my neighborhood, I go and listen, turn on the scanner and see what's going on. Because I just have that, you know, I have to listen. and I have to know what's going on around me.

01:11:52 - 01:12:00 | Speaker 3:

You play a fun game of fireworks or gunshots, too? Every summer in the south end of Toledo, baby.

01:12:00 - 01:12:01 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

01:12:02 - 01:12:03 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's going to be a hot one.

01:12:04 - 01:12:16 | Speaker 1:

All right. Let's see what's going on in our neighborhood right now, kids. Let's go on this app and see if we get anything good happening here. Kelly, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. How are you?

01:12:16 - 01:12:16 | Speaker 4:

Hi, how are you?

01:12:16 - 01:12:17 | Speaker 1:

Good.

01:12:17 - 01:12:39 | Speaker 4:

um i have an app it's called the citizens app it's um kind of like a high-end police scanner like as soon as a call comes into the police um you get that notification i'm also a property manager and the amount of things that i see on there that happens with our tenants is actually pretty crazy but that's actually a really good app as well

01:12:39 - 01:12:42 | Speaker 1:

really okay what do you what do you see about your tenants

01:12:42 - 01:13:17 | Speaker 4:

um one of them i've seen that there was a uh domestic dispute uh there's shootings that happened at the houses but it's like you get immediately alerted as soon as the call comes into the police oh like i know you get a notification on your phone yep yep i mean you can choose your desired area to know about um so you would just choose like your home area but yeah like it alerts you as soon as a call is into the police it records like the call that came into the police and then like it's just like a live update really is what it is yeah you ever seen that meme

01:13:17 - 01:13:45 | Speaker 2:

with charlie day and i don't know if it's from only uh sunny sunny in philadelphia or whatever it's always sunny in philadelphia he's doing the i know it i know thank you but it's only only fans in philadelphia thank you thank you for that But you know what I'm talking about With the red strings in the basement Where he's trying to figure out a crime That's going to be you With the scanners

01:13:45 - 01:13:50 | Speaker 3:

With the cigarette in his hand And a trench coat on

01:13:50 - 01:14:05 | Speaker 1:

With a little notepad Keeping notes So what did you see? Where was it? Bell, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning Hi Oh, that's a little shady That's a little shady. Shouldn't have said her name. What's up, Allie? Hi.

01:14:07 - 01:14:38 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Hi. First of all, long-time listener, first time listener. Yeah! I just want to say I definitely think those police skaters are real because I have friends that go to Michigan State University, And I listened to them when the shooting was going on. And I was listening to all those police calls on their radio, I guess.

01:14:38 - 01:14:58 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I remember I remember that night like it was yesterday. What a horrible night that was. But I remember sitting there and we were listening to to all that where they were like telling people where they thought the shooter was. and how they're locking down buildings and things like that?

01:15:00 - 01:15:43 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that was pretty crazy. Well, I'm on the app right now, and I'm listening off the air just to hear what I can hear in my neighborhood. And I'm hearing, hey, I think they're talking about us right now on Mojo in the Morning. What happens if I go on the police scanner app and the police are like, hey, go check out that house over there. That guy's ordered about 12 different DoorDashes. We want to make sure the guy doesn't need, like, EMS protection right now for the fact that he just ordered Buffalo Wild Wings three days in a row. Yeah, here it is. Here it is. Yeah. Uh-huh. Yeah. Yeah. Fat ass in West Bloomfield. There it is.

01:15:45 - 01:16:01 | Speaker 3:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is the home of Mojo in the Morning. The world famous Channel 955.

01:16:12 - 01:16:23 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning Show. Kev is like really pissed at Shannon for ruining something that was really good to him. We all witnessed it in the hallway.

01:16:23 - 01:17:21 | Speaker 4:

uh what was the story man so we were forgot what was going on we were talking about places to go eat and someone was asking for a suggestion and people gave their suggestions and some restaurants i knew some restaurants i didn't and there has been a place that i have been to for years like over a decade i've been to this place and have had a phenomenal phenomenal experience every single time that i've gone there whether it was drinks whether it was early drinks like mimosa vibe good omelet a little burger at the end of the night like every time i've gone it has been a great experience so i shout out the place and within three seconds like as soon as i say the last syllable in the title which i won't say shannon says oh my god i hate that place don't go there no no don't go there and now my experience is forever ruined because what was

01:17:21 - 01:18:39 | Speaker 1:

her reasoning for saying don't go to that place okay i didn't say i hate that place i said don't go there because because i love it no no because and this was years ago that i witnessed this and i still have not gone back ever and nor will i i was there with a bunch of friends and this is one of those places where you can be standing at the bar having a drink and you can see into the kitchen okay and so i was standing there drinking and there was a guy who was cooking over a grill he was cooking hamburgers and the sweat was pouring off of his forehead onto the burgers on the grill Gross. And I was, I even told my friends that night, I was like, everybody, finish your drinks. We are leaving. We are, nobody is eating here. And look, I know disgusting things happen at every single restaurant. I don't care if it's cheap or really fancy. But when you see it with your own eyes, you can't unsee it. And so now anytime somebody says the name of that restaurant, I'm like, don't go there. It was the sweaty chef in the back. That's what it was like. a constant drip onto the beef patties.

01:18:39 - 01:18:46 | Speaker 5:

He would love. But it added salt and seasoning to it. I mean, you know what I mean?

01:18:46 - 01:18:50 | Speaker 1:

I was like, I don't care if you ordered. We're going.

01:18:50 - 01:18:56 | Speaker 5:

You don't think that the places that we don't see, those people have things going on?

01:18:56 - 01:19:33 | Speaker 1:

Hence my comment. I know this happens at every restaurant. I know. But why say that on the dude's favorite place? Because it comes up involuntarily, Mike. when someone says the name of this restaurant. You're like, don't do it! Okay, I'll say this too, and I followed it up with this comment. There is a pizza chain, which I won't say, that I love to death, but there is one location, it's on Royal Oak, or it's on Woodward in Royal Oak, that I will not go to, and there are a lot, so you can't figure this out, because one time I was driving by, and I was stopped in traffic right there, and there was an employee from this pizza chain, and he had his hand down his butt while he was talking on the phone.

01:19:33 - 01:19:37 | Speaker 2:

And I thought, I know he probably doesn't even work there anymore, but I can't go back. Tasty.

01:19:38 - 01:19:45 | Speaker 5:

Can I, by the way, who doesn't love the taste of butt, right?

01:19:45 - 01:19:48 | Speaker 4:

And my butt crack. Two flavors of crust.

01:19:48 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 5:

Can I tell you that this does affect me when I go to a restaurant and the person from the kitchen.

01:20:00 - 01:20:22 | Speaker 2:

goes into the bathroom and as soon as i see them not that they didn't wash their hands because some of them do and some of them don't i don't want to see them pooping like i don't want to see them going to the bathroom and i know they do that's why i think restaurants should have their own employee restroom in the back because you should never see the the kitchen chef cooking and uh

01:20:22 - 01:20:29 | Speaker 6:

going duty in the same meal so even if he washes his hands you're judging on how long how good did you scrub under your fingernail.

01:20:30 - 01:20:46 | Speaker 2:

All right, so 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Who ruined it for you? Who was the person that ruined it for you? Because Kev's favorite restaurant just got ruined by Shannon. And when you did that, Shannon, I thought to myself, there ain't no way Kev's ever going to be able to go back to this place.

01:20:46 - 01:20:48 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I'm for sure going back.

01:20:48 - 01:20:48 | Speaker 2:

You are?

01:20:49 - 01:20:50 | Speaker 1:

Without a doubt.

01:20:50 - 01:20:53 | Speaker 2:

Are you going to wipe the sweat off of the chef as you walk in?

01:20:53 - 01:20:55 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to just pray over it like I do. Excuse me, sir.

01:20:55 - 01:21:02 | Speaker 2:

Can I get you a headband like Cliff Robinson used to wear when he played for the Pistons? What's going on, Juliana?

01:21:03 - 01:21:32 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, guys. Good morning. So just recently, a friend and I went to go try this new taco place by her house. And I went to the bathroom, and one of the lady cooks was in there. She came out of the stall with gloves still on her hands, bypassed the sink, and went right out the door. did you stay and eat oh i didn't eat we bought our food because we felt bad but i didn't eat

01:21:32 - 01:21:51 | Speaker 2:

yeah you can't go in and not wash your hands unless was there a sometimes they have sinks in like the handicap stall was there a sink in there maybe she washed um she wasn't in a handicap stall oh no that's awful uh what's up kayla hey um so it's not like a bad experience

01:21:51 - 01:22:10 | Speaker 5:

that i've seen but i used to work at a restaurant i won't obviously mean the restaurant but um like i know what um when servers get mad they'll do crazy things like i had a girl um put ice between like her bosoms i guess she spit in their cup served in their their pop with a smile like

01:22:10 - 01:22:20 | Speaker 2:

it's crazy what people will do when you're not looking she put ice in her bosoms was the ice thing going back into a drink or something or what was she doing she was trying to cool herself down

01:22:21 - 01:22:29 | Speaker 5:

Well, she scooped it, like, for the drink because the customer was being really rude to her. Yeah. Then put those there first.

01:22:29 - 01:22:43 | Speaker 2:

You know what I hate? I hate when you go to a bar and the waiter or the bartender digs into the ice, and you know they take the cup and they dig their cup into it, and they dig it, and their hands are touching the ice, too.

01:22:43 - 01:22:45 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Yeah, you're not supposed to do that.

01:22:46 - 01:22:46 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:22:46 - 01:22:50 | Speaker 3:

I might be upset about it. Oh, thank you.

01:22:50 - 01:22:54 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, thank you. We appreciate you.

01:22:55 - 01:22:56 | Speaker 3:

Thank you.

01:22:56 - 01:23:13 | Speaker 2:

You wouldn't be upset by the bosoms in the ice. I still drink it. I mean, that one isn't the worst one in the world. Wait, what was the sign? Where is it at? What was the saying that they used to say all the time that a girl was so fine that you would do what? Drink her bath water? Drink her bath water. Drink her ice on her boobie water.

01:23:13 - 01:23:13 | Speaker 1:

Her boob water.

01:23:14 - 01:23:15 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Landon?

01:23:15 - 01:23:23 | Speaker 3:

hey i actually had a zip tie baked into my pizza at a restaurant a zip tie they left it inside

01:23:23 - 01:23:41 | Speaker 2:

there yeah yeah it was insane yeah i'm one of those people like if i find a hair in my food i just take the hair out like i'm not gonna assume that they're okay you don't think that a hair one hair that's the cleanest thing probably that touched that food well i mean maybe you just

01:23:41 - 01:23:44 | Speaker 4:

don't want hair in your food i'm just not gonna go back you don't matter if you give me the free

01:23:44 - 01:23:50 | Speaker 2:

food or not i'm not finishing i would rather see them without hairnets i think hairnets to me just

01:23:50 - 01:24:49 | Speaker 3:

remind me of middle school cafeteria uh what's up chris how you doing good morning um i would i explain to uh the call screener um i i picked up a uh a carry out at a local i'm not gonna mention the name yeah okay family diner um and my fact i know the restaurant my daughter used to work there it's a very clean restaurant but i brought the carryout container home i opened it up on my kitchen counter and a live roach jumped oh that's awful i would never go back a live roach yeah i mean instinct automatically i snapped it with my hand because i did not want that thing in my house yeah um i call i called down to the owner and i said you know i told him about it he was so apologetic um he said you know and i know like i said i know they keep a clean restaurant but he said we get all of our stuff from eastern market all of our carryout containers all of our uh all of our supplies they could have come from anywhere and i know they exist everywhere i just don't need

01:24:49 - 01:25:04 | Speaker 2:

to see them yeah oh yay that's where we're moving listen i'm first thing i heard i'm telling you though, that you do not want to see. roaches or rodents or any of that stuff that right there will get me out of there have you

01:25:04 - 01:25:25 | Speaker 3:

heard about megan's new pet oh my god there's a rat stalking me in detroit really it stalks me and it has just like the pigeons has no fear of people and will run at me it is the scariest thing i see it a couple of times a week and my brother and i do this thing on facetime when i'm walking downtown in the specific street where i always see it we go on rat watch

01:25:25 - 01:26:11 | Speaker 2:

somebody just was on the phone line and they got disconnected you heard the guy hung up there a second ago he said that he saw the employee tasting the person's food that he was cooking at the time with a spoon tasting it and then putting the spoon back in there to stir the stuff is that gross and then another person that was on there and they just hung up why did they why are those people hanging up don't hang up the person who had uh uh employee dropped a bucket of ranch, and the manager of the restaurant made him put it all back in the bucket and use it. Bro, are you serious? And then, Derek, we were talking about the bartenders that put their arms in the ice bin. What did you see? You're being voice disguised. Hello? Yeah.

01:26:12 - 01:26:27 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I had worked at a pizza restaurant for about two years where all the seasonings and all the tomato paste was mixed by your arm. up to about tricep.

01:26:27 - 01:26:29 | Speaker 2:

I worked in a restaurant. That's how we did it, too.

01:26:29 - 01:26:30 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Yeah. What?

01:26:31 - 01:26:34 | Speaker 2:

You would dip your arm into it and stir it like a spoon.

01:26:34 - 01:26:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. What?

01:26:35 - 01:26:36 | Speaker 2:

That's how they would do it.

01:26:36 - 01:26:37 | Speaker 3:

You wash your arm before.

01:26:37 - 01:26:37 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:26:37 - 01:26:43 | Speaker 3:

I don't care. But the chef is cooking with his hands and his hands are dirtier than the rest of his arm.

01:26:43 - 01:26:48 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. What? You would dip your arm in there and use it as a ladle, basically, to stir.

01:26:48 - 01:26:55 | Speaker 3:

When you go to fancy Italian restaurants who make their pastas in-house, it's all on their arms. Yeah. It's draped across their arms. It's the same thing.

01:26:55 - 01:27:01 | Speaker 2:

God. It's crazy, isn't it? And you guys are worried about a hair in a salad or something.

01:27:01 - 01:27:02 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

01:27:02 - 01:27:02 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:27:02 - 01:27:03 | Speaker 1:

Pull the hair out.

01:27:04 - 01:27:11 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. All right. Well, you know what? If you don't like it, then guess what? Eat at home. You're right?

01:27:11 - 01:27:32 | Speaker 5:

I guess that's what we are. No, because my arms are probably dirty. Tired of paying subscription fees? Mojo has no fees. Listen for free to the live show. Colleen is in the building. In the studio. Not just in the building. That's a fact. Here for the third dirty of the day.

01:27:40 - 01:27:41 | Speaker 1:

Let's get dirty, Shanna.

01:27:41 - 01:27:50 | Speaker 4:

So Drake kicked a fan right out of his show in Sydney this week. But not for a bad reason. Actually, for a very good reason. He was worried about her safety.

01:27:50 - 01:27:54 | Speaker 2:

I saw a sign that somebody said they were 20 weeks pregnant.

01:27:54 - 01:28:10 | Speaker 5:

get your ass out of the pit yes are you 20 weeks pregnant get out of the pit get out of there get the camera on her get that baby out of the pit

01:28:10 - 01:28:17 | Speaker 2:

ASAP grab you get her some VIP tickets immediately at like $30,000

01:28:17 - 01:29:20 | Speaker 4:

now everybody's going to have a sign that says they're 20 weeks pregnant standing right there in the pit. That's dangerous, though, right? I mean, it could be. You're just, I mean, I don't know. I mean, yeah, it depends. Because I know I've never been in the pit at a Drake show. Are people nuts? No, it doesn't get, it's not a mosh pit. Okay. But I'm just thinking. So that to me would be, I would not stand there pregnant. But if somebody bumps into you, that can affect things, right? Not a bump. Oh. I mean, if somebody like slammed you to the ground, I would be nervous. Oh, that's not happening. Do you hear this song right now? Probably not the smart, the smartest. And 30,000, so. Yeah. As Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni continue their legal battle, when is this thing going to end? Hopefully never. A past interview with their It Ends With Us co-star Isabella Farer. She's the one who plays young Lily Bloom, so the younger version of Blake Lively's character in the movie. She reveals how Taylor Swift was absolutely involved in the casting of the movie.

01:29:20 - 01:29:25 | Speaker 3:

I hear that Taylor may have had some influence in getting. Yes, she did.

01:29:25 - 01:29:25 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I know.

01:29:26 - 01:29:27 | Speaker 3:

I don't even know if I'm meant to be saying it, but I'm saying it.

01:29:28 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, she was a helpful part of the process of the audition, which I found out later after I got it. And that rocks my world. The red carpet or the pink carpet at the premiere of the movie. And Justin agreed with Isabella's comments about Taylor helping to cast her part in a separate interview, telling Access Hollywood that he was the one who showed her audition to Blake and Taylor, who both said, yes, it's her. Oh, my God. So very interesting little caveat to this legal battle. Speaking of Taylor, Kylie Kelsey talking about her on her podcast this week.

01:30:00 - 01:30:27 | Speaker 3:

Anyone that asks me in person, I am very forthcoming with how much I love and appreciate her and how much I love the fact that you can tell how happy Travis is. And that's that's what I care about. So let's not pit women against women. Let's stop writing articles when there's not any beef to write articles about.

01:30:30 - 01:30:48 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, it pains me. I thought she was going to continue talking. I'm sorry. Like, I literally was like, oh, yeah, there's more. It pains me to do this story. But Team Canada took home the victory in the Four Nations face-off final last night, winning 3-2 against Team USA.

01:30:51 - 01:30:59 | Speaker 2:

That was an overtime.

01:30:59 - 01:31:02 | Speaker 1:

I was sleeping until my Canadian husband screamed.

01:31:03 - 01:31:09 | Speaker 3:

Wes was the first person I thought of. He called me from my slumber. Did he start singing the national anthem? No.

01:31:11 - 01:31:13 | Speaker 2:

What a game last night. That was incredible.

01:31:17 - 01:31:38 | Speaker 1:

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau posting a comment aimed at the U.S. right after that win. After President Trump's comments about making Canada the 51st American state, he wrote, You can't take our country, and you can't take our game. 01:31:41 - 01:31:42 | Speaker 3:

Who is this?

01:31:42 - 01:33:36 | Speaker 2:

I don't know, but it's okay. It's Mark McAvewicz. Oh, Canada, we stand on God for thee. Come on, Shannon, come on. Oh, Canada, we said God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God Crazy day yesterday, I was pulling into a parking lot of Target, and I knew I should have just done the drive up, but I wanted to get out of the car and go inside and see what's going on, so I had to park the car, get out of the car, go inside the store, and it ended up costing me because I pulled into a parking spot, opened up my door, and the wind kind of took it and the door ended up smashing into the car that was sitting next to me and there was somebody sitting inside of the car and it sucks because not only you know do you feel bad about the fact that you hit their car but then you go crap what kind of damage did I do to it now do I got to you know have issues where I gotta get insurance involved and I looked at my car first and saw that there was really nothing to my Tahoe. My Chevy Tahoe looked like it had been completely fine. This guy's, on the other hand, Ford Vagina, as I like to call it.

01:33:36 - 01:33:37 | Speaker 1:

Oh, is it a Flex?

01:33:38 - 01:33:41 | Speaker 2:

Have you ever seen a Ford Flex before? Oh, yeah.

01:33:41 - 01:33:44 | Speaker 3:

I think that's a wonderfully made American car.

01:33:44 - 01:34:01 | Speaker 2:

The Ford Flex is known as the Ford Vagina by those who work in the Ford Motor Company. I don't think that's true. You know why it's called the Ford Vagina? Why? Because the Ford Vagina is one of those cars that is ugly on the outside.

01:34:02 - 01:34:02 | Unknown:

Okay.

01:34:02 - 01:34:15 | Speaker 2:

But that's it. That's all I'll say because I'm not repeating what I'm saying. But, okay. So I hit the guy's Ford Flex, and I end up gashing the crap out of the side.

01:34:15 - 01:34:16 | Speaker 1:

Oh, really?

01:34:16 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 2:

So bad. Guy gets out of the car, and this is where it gets interesting. Guy gets out of the car. he looks at it I go listen I'm really sorry you know I will pay for that and he goes $20 and I'm thinking to myself $20 that's all the things that this is going to cost $20 so I go $20 that's it and he goes yeah it's $20 he goes I'll take $20 and I look at him and I go okay and then I think to myself $20 if this hit my car this goes into my car you know and I in gash somebody gashed my car i'm not doing twenty dollars because i know even the slightest little ding on a car is is you know thousand dollars or something you know what i mean these collision shops they they got a racket going on

01:35:00 - 01:35:23 | Speaker 4:

So I stopped for a second. I think to myself, I think something's going on here. So I said, okay, I'll tell you what. I'll give you $20, but let's exchange information. And just then he goes, you know what? Don't even worry about it. I'm good. And he gets into his car, goes to walk away. I go, are you sure? I got the $20 right here. No. And he gets in his car and pulls out and drives away.

01:35:24 - 01:35:25 | Speaker 3:

I don't get it.

01:35:25 - 01:35:29 | Speaker 4:

Well, what do you think? That's what I'm thinking. I don't know.

01:35:29 - 01:35:31 | Speaker 3:

He had no insurance for sure.

01:35:31 - 01:35:38 | Speaker 4:

That's what I'm wondering. Like, I'm wondering it's either no insurance or Mike said it's stolen. It could have been a stolen car or something. Who knows?

01:35:38 - 01:35:42 | Speaker 2:

Or he was somewhere where he wasn't supposed to be and his wife was at home.

01:35:42 - 01:35:50 | Speaker 4:

It could be. That could also be, too. But although, you know, what is it giving me the information, dude? She's not going to know about it unless I call her up and tell her about it.

01:35:50 - 01:35:56 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but in the incident report, won't it say the target, you know, on Telegraph? Yeah.

01:35:56 - 01:35:59 | Speaker 3:

If his wife did the incident report, she is a whole different kind of lady.

01:36:00 - 01:36:03 | Speaker 4:

Well, he must, who knows, maybe he's a little shady.

01:36:03 - 01:36:13 | Speaker 5:

That's why I think stolen, because he didn't really care about the car, it didn't sound like. $20, right? Yeah. But he wanted money bad. So if he's that hard up for $20, maybe he stole the car.

01:36:13 - 01:36:23 | Speaker 3:

Have you ever gotten an accident with someone who didn't have insurance before? The fear on their face and the, please, no, no, no, no, no. This sounds like one of those situations.

01:36:23 - 01:36:23 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:36:24 - 01:36:27 | Speaker 1:

That's not something I had to fear until my recent move.

01:36:27 - 01:36:30 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Well, because your insurance was an issue getting it here in Michigan, right?

01:36:30 - 01:36:39 | Speaker 1:

Well, not even that. I didn't realize in Michigan, one in four people are not insured. And that's an insane rate for the United States.

01:36:39 - 01:36:41 | Speaker 4:

That's because we have that stupid insurance.

01:36:42 - 01:36:44 | Speaker 1:

Your insurance here is the weirdest thing.

01:36:44 - 01:36:46 | Speaker 4:

It's your insurance, too. You're now a Michigan resident.

01:36:46 - 01:36:51 | Speaker 1:

I know, but it was probably the weirdest transition into the state.

01:36:52 - 01:37:03 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, well, yeah. I just want to know what the hell this guy's deal was. I've been wanting to bring this up all morning because I wanted to know if there's any listeners that have a theory on this. I'd love to know

01:37:03 - 01:37:07 | Speaker 3:

what your theory is. It could also be his premium would increase.

01:37:07 - 01:37:19 | Speaker 4:

And we already talked about how expensive it is. I mean, I know it's a no-fault stake, but I would have paid him the money. Here's my big reason I wanted to exchange the info. Some people may... Huh?

01:37:20 - 01:37:21 | Speaker 8:

That damn was already there.

01:37:22 - 01:37:24 | Speaker 4:

Who's this? Who's this random lady

01:37:24 - 01:37:46 | Speaker 8:

talking what's your name they killed me and this is k what's up that down was already there oh i think it was already there so he's gonna let you give you twenty dollars like oh i just got a free twenty dollars and then your instinct was like let's exchange information you're like no i'm good he's already played that trick before that then was already there you know why i wanted

01:37:46 - 01:37:52 | Speaker 4:

to do the information k because i didn't want this guy coming back after me saying it was a hit and

01:37:52 - 01:38:06 | Speaker 8:

run you know what i mean i got no proof with just 20 dollars that was already there because if you didn't it that bad no we want more than that right quick 20 and then you ask for his name he's like

01:38:06 - 01:38:16 | Speaker 4:

nah nah no that's you're you're right there's that there could be that maybe that didn't what it didn't do anything to my car but it did hit it hard holy crap what's going on what's up dan

01:38:16 - 01:38:42 | Speaker 6:

hey i'm i'm telling you right now the guy didn't have a driver's license and so he he got nervous because he didn't want the police to show up and he's driving a car illegally um i'm convinced interesting yeah no seriously uh yeah yeah no that i'm not gonna say anything more

01:38:42 - 01:38:54 | Speaker 4:

All right, that's an interesting theory. Dan's got an interesting theory on this one. Linda, what's your theory behind why it was that this guy took off the moment I said, let's exchange information?

01:38:55 - 01:38:57 | Speaker 7:

Well, I just want to say hi. I love you guys.

01:38:57 - 01:38:57 | Speaker 4:

Oh.

01:38:58 - 01:38:59 | Speaker 7:

Yes, I love you too, Linda.

01:38:59 - 01:39:00 | Speaker 4:

Hi.

01:39:00 - 01:39:17 | Speaker 7:

I just, there's a big possibility he might have warranted for his arrest or something. Oh, good point. And a lot of people do not watch those cop shows. A lot of people do nowadays. Yes. So that's just a possibility.

01:39:17 - 01:39:25 | Speaker 4:

You know what? You know what is so interesting about that is he should have a warrant out for his arrest for driving a Ford Flex.

01:39:27 - 01:39:29 | Speaker 2:

That's what I'm saying. Maybe it was not his car.

01:39:29 - 01:39:39 | Speaker 4:

If you have a warrant out for your arrest, you're not driving a Ford Flex. Although, you know, you might because nobody ever thinks that a person driving a Ford Flex has warrants out for their arrest. Somebody actually.

01:39:39 - 01:39:44 | Speaker 5:

Somebody's riding around in a Ford Flex right now like, this is my dream car, and you're killing them right now.

01:39:44 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 4:

Somebody said here, you should call it the Ford Ball Sack instead of the Ford Vagina, because ball sacks are worse than vaginas. It is true, by the way. Although the second part of the reason why I call it the vagina is the reason why.

01:40:00 - 01:40:05 | Speaker 3:

makes it so much fun what's up uh harold hi hey how you doing good what's going on

01:40:06 - 01:40:28 | Speaker 2:

i just was uh thinking you know i mean i don't know i'm a different type of person anyway but maybe you know they didn't want to deal with the hassle of like he said the premium going up or figured if he wasn't sitting there and you did it you know he would have never known so he got out and at least offered him something but then wanted to nah man i'm not trying to go down that insurance route or maybe he was just embarrassed you caught

01:40:28 - 01:40:42 | Speaker 3:

i'm driving a flex that might be too yeah uh that actually could be the exact reason altogether steve gabara's blowing up my freaking phone right now i'm like he and i are literally gonna like

01:40:42 - 01:40:53 | Speaker 1:

jets and sharks you and we're gonna be waiting for you in the parking lot just snapping ready to slash your chevy tires for those who don't know uh megan's future ex-husband steve

01:40:53 - 01:41:03 | Speaker 3:

gabara from zat ford sells fords and he's a very good friend good morning good morning steve i tried steve tell me every person that comes into zat ford and holly and buys one of

01:41:03 - 01:41:53 | Speaker 4:

those ford flexes they're blind right mojo you're being so mean to the ford flex i mean listen it is a very interesting car can i break down how it ended up the way it is it's very simple yeah people say the outside and it looks like a hearse and ford the entire outside of that vehicle was designed by male engineers but the inside is one of the most beautiful fords they've made in years as it turns out it was all female all women that designed the inside they were all female engineers so it's one of those odd cars that happened by accident but you're being so mean to it you know it has feelings too wait they don't make it anymore still do they is that still They do not make it anymore, but it's got, like, this cult following. Every time we get one on a trade-in and we put it for sale, we get, like, 20 phone calls on first day. Really?

01:41:54 - 01:42:05 | Speaker 3:

Would you say that that car is similar to, what was the car that Chrysler had? Was it not the Pacifica? The PT Cruiser? The PT Cruiser.

01:42:06 - 01:42:11 | Speaker 4:

The PT Cruiser. Yes. That was the ugliest car. No, no. That is apples and oranges.

01:42:12 - 01:42:15 | Speaker 3:

No, that's like apples and prunes.

01:42:15 - 01:42:21 | Speaker 4:

Okay, maybe even better. Speaking of prunes, I noticed you didn't want to call it the vagina anymore. Yes.

01:42:22 - 01:42:24 | Speaker 3:

All right, Stevie, I love you, buddy.

01:42:25 - 01:42:27 | Speaker 1:

I love you, too. Thank you.

01:42:29 - 01:42:31 | Speaker 3:

What's going on, Megan? Hi.

01:42:32 - 01:42:43 | Speaker 6:

Hi. So your comment about the Ford Flex being a vagina is kind of funny because the vagina is one of the strongest muscles on the planet. It should be called the ball sack, because the ball sack takes one tap, and that thing's broken.

01:42:45 - 01:42:50 | Speaker 1:

Say it again, Megan. Say it again. Woman power.

01:42:50 - 01:43:02 | Speaker 3:

I love it. We love you. Take care of yourself. Hold on. A cop on the phone with us right now. Emily is a cop. What's going on, Emily? How are you? Good. How are you? We're good. What's up? You have a theory behind this thing.

01:43:03 - 01:43:04 | Speaker 5:

I do have a theory.

01:43:04 - 01:43:05 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

01:43:05 - 01:43:15 | Speaker 5:

So, I think the guy was just trying to be a nice guy, and maybe he just wanted 20 bucks because he was just being nice, and officers won't come to private property.

01:43:15 - 01:43:20 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I've noticed that. It used to be, like, back in the day, you'd get a police report. You can't get police reports anymore like this, right?

01:43:21 - 01:43:23 | Speaker 5:

Nope, because it's on private property.

01:43:23 - 01:43:37 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Wait, so you're just thinking, it's funny, everybody's got a theory. The guy's got a warrant out for his arrest. He's got a suspended driver's license. He's wanted by the law. He's driving a Ford Flex. You just say he was just being a nice guy and just said, enough, I don't need this.

01:43:37 - 01:43:40 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, he probably knew who you were and thought you were a cool guy.

01:43:41 - 01:43:49 | Speaker 3:

Ah, that's nice. Well, if that's him, hello. Sorry about what I said about your car. Take care of yourself.

01:43:50 - 01:43:56 | Speaker 5:

Thank you, you too. I'm a first-time caller. Aw, yay! Hi! He's on the phone!

01:43:56 - 01:43:57 | Speaker 3:

Are you on duty right now?

01:43:58 - 01:44:00 | Speaker 5:

I am not. No, I have a day off.

01:44:00 - 01:44:04 | Speaker 3:

Can you listen to us in your squad cars?

01:44:05 - 01:44:06 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, absolutely.

01:44:06 - 01:44:20 | Speaker 3:

That's awesome. Well, hello to, hello, Ossifers. We appreciate it. Any police that are listening to us, you know, county, state, local, any of you guys. We love you so much.

01:44:20 - 01:44:22 | Speaker 5:

I'm one of the Toledo fighters.

01:44:23 - 01:44:26 | Speaker 3:

Oh, we love you so much. You guys had a busy day yesterday, didn't you?

01:44:26 - 01:44:28 | Speaker 5:

Yes, we did, yeah.

01:44:28 - 01:44:36 | Speaker 3:

A lot of people down there. It was all hands on deck with TPD. I sure was. All right. Yes. Take care of yourself. We appreciate you.

01:44:36 - 01:44:38 | Speaker 2:

You got to listen to Mojo in the Morning.

01:44:39 - 01:44:40 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning.

01:44:40 - 01:44:43 | Speaker 2:

He's my guy. My guy. My bro. He is Detroit.

01:44:46 - 01:44:53 | Speaker 3:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVPS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:44:53 - 01:44:54 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

01:44:55 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 3:

Live. All right, is Mojo in the Morning show? Why is that?

01:45:00 - 01:46:15 | Speaker 4:

on Facebook. Megan, what's going on? So I was really just taken aback because yesterday I was scrolling on Facebook. It's where I go to find any good topics for the show because y'all dramas be airing out on that platform and I love it. But I saw like the standard and then the birth photos are always pretty common of like, I had my baby, right? And I'm scrolling through this girl who I've known for forever and she just had her fourth baby. And it's like the baby in the bassinet, first photo announcing the name and her like you know sitting in the hospital bed getting ready to push and then the third or fourth photo is her spread eagle christmas and all baby's head is showing no coming out her lady bits no post it up on facebook like i i feel like that would be an accident but this post had been up for over 24 hours so like at some point somebody had to have notified you and said hello your christmas is out for the world to see and i just listen i think it's beautiful i think you're a mom and that's what you want that oh my god i'm so happy for you do we post that specific photo on social media yeah i'm so glad that we struggle with copyright

01:46:15 - 01:46:24 | Speaker 1:

issues on our facebook live and it's constantly getting shut down but the moment someone posts their Christmas, it's okay. And there's no strikes.

01:46:25 - 01:46:34 | Speaker 6:

I wouldn't want my Christmas in that moment posted. In general, never posted, but especially

01:46:34 - 01:46:35 | Speaker 5:

in that moment, never posted.

01:46:36 - 01:47:44 | Speaker 2:

We had a friend of the family, Tracy DePalma, that made us watch hers. What? She connected to our phone so that we could watch her give birth to justin and uh all i saw was from that angle justin justin had uh had a big old head of hair and i see justin's fro just popping right out of his uh mom's uh vagina at the time that's great it's too much yeah people for some reason have no problems with showing off their their vaginas in a birth picture and i think that maybe facebook doesn't do anything about it because they are afraid to get shamed you know for it's like breastfeeding pictures or people with breast you know breastfeeding on public like you get shamed if i you think that they should cover up maybe they that's the same thing and i don't think i was gonna say this is apple apples and oranges no those are breasts and vaginas that's what they are but i will say this though i know you say they're apples and oranges but i think that there are some people like the you know that think that it's a beautiful thing to see a birth of a baby i yeah i don't i don't

01:47:44 - 01:47:50 | Speaker 5:

think vaginas and penises should be on social media yeah in any context whatsoever what is the

01:47:50 - 01:48:15 | Speaker 2:

what is the most um interesting thing and it doesn't have to be pictures or anything like that it could be like somebody making a comment about something that that was out there aside from let's not get into political okay because when you get people in the political then it goes down that rabbit hole where we all of a sudden lose the funny in the topic. But what is the thing that you saw on somebody's social media that they posted? And you're like, I can't believe they

01:48:15 - 01:48:38 | Speaker 5:

posted. Okay. So I always get so much crap when I post a photo from Dr. Werner's office. Dr. Werner, our show gynecologist. And I will always post a photo of my feet in the stirrups with like the paper thing. Like all you can see is my knees down, right? You cannot see anything. but people i always get a handful that are like this is so inappropriate like oh okay you're not

01:48:38 - 01:49:04 | Speaker 2:

seeing any you see more when i wear shorts i always i always love the people though i always love the people that will post the drama in their lives like they'll post the or like they'll post either work drama which is they hate their boss not understanding that their boss is probably seeing oh that's a good example or they post the drama of their relationship issues not realizing that you basically have just opened up your bedroom to the world. Julia, what's going on?

01:49:05 - 01:49:24 | Speaker 3:

So I do think people overshare, and I never understand why. Who wants to see a friend had, like, her son, like, they broke an ankle, and she showed the picture, like, it was bruised, and he was in the hospital bed. Like, nobody wants to see that.

01:49:25 - 01:49:47 | Speaker 2:

I think that when they do that, because I have taken a picture before of Luke when he got hit in the eye with a baseball because you felt so bad for him because he looked so sad and he had the big bruise and stuff. But I think that when they do that, they want the world to know that this kid hurt themselves. And maybe she wrote on there that the kid's like a warrior for getting through it. But you're right. You're right.

01:49:47 - 01:49:57 | Speaker 3:

And I'm good with, you know, the cast afterwards. But when you can see the toes going the wrong way from the legs, like, that's too much. I don't want to see that.

01:49:57 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 2:

And they post it from in the delivery.

01:50:00 - 01:50:05 | Speaker 3:

or in the operating room, or in the hospital, and you're like, shouldn't you be tending to your child instead of posting on social media?

01:50:06 - 01:50:07 | Speaker 6:

Too much.

01:50:07 - 01:50:13 | Speaker 3:

Katie, what's going on? Oh, that's a loud blinker. Which way are we going, right or left?

01:50:14 - 01:50:15 | Speaker 6:

I'm going left.

01:50:15 - 01:50:16 | Speaker 3:

Okay, what's going on?

01:50:17 - 01:50:27 | Speaker 6:

I hate the feet pictures. Like, I will take vagina bursts and breastfeeding boobs all day. Something about the feet, I just hate, hate, hate it. Cannot do it.

01:50:27 - 01:50:31 | Speaker 3:

And what are people doing? And are they showing their feet because they're...

01:50:31 - 01:50:43 | Speaker 6:

It doesn't matter. Like, if it's like, oh, I stubbed my toe, like, we don't need to see that. Or if you've got a pedicure, that's great. Like, at least then maybe they look nice. But it's just something, like, no one needs to see the feet.

01:50:44 - 01:50:57 | Speaker 3:

I agree with you on feet. Even people's pedicure feet. Like, I don't want to see you with those little things in between your feet that they give you at a pedicure place. I don't really care to see your newly fresh painted toes.

01:50:57 - 01:51:05 | Speaker 5:

Do you think there's like an anti-feet finder where you can see photos with just cropped out feet or blurred feet?

01:51:05 - 01:51:11 | Speaker 3:

I have the website, I Hate Feet. You can go to it, IHateFeet.com. What's going on, Mojo in the Morning? What's up, Melissa?

01:51:12 - 01:51:27 | Speaker 7:

Hi. I always think it's super weird when people post pictures from like a funeral and they actually like show the dead body and everything. Yeah. And they post photos of that. I think that's so, like, unnecessary.

01:51:28 - 01:51:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. But I think that's kind of sometimes a cultural thing, too, because...

01:51:34 - 01:51:42 | Speaker 7:

I mean, yeah, it could be, but I think, like, ones I'm talking about are, like, when, like, your friends are carrying the casket and, like, posing in front of it.

01:51:42 - 01:51:42 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:51:43 - 01:51:45 | Speaker 7:

So I feel like that's super weird. That's wild.

01:51:45 - 01:51:53 | Speaker 3:

I think taking pictures in a funeral home or, you know, a church seems kind of weird if it's not, like, a celebratory type thing.

01:51:53 - 01:51:58 | Speaker 4:

If Rihanna can block out the signal at a concert, can we get some funeral homes that block out your camera ability?

01:51:59 - 01:52:00 | Speaker 3:

From you posting.

01:52:00 - 01:52:01 | Speaker 9:

During the funerals.

01:52:01 - 01:52:02 | Speaker 3:

Dennis, what's up?

01:52:03 - 01:52:35 | Speaker 9:

What's up, man? So, I was in a serious motorcycle accident a couple years ago, and I had a surgery and had a doctor that did a surgery that didn't go so well. And I had a hematoma develop like six days later, and it ruptured on my arm. It was about an eight-inch incision, as well as I had pictures of my face where I broke eight bones, and I didn't make it on the way to the hospital place, and those have been posted.

01:52:36 - 01:52:37 | Speaker 3:

Who posted them?

01:52:38 - 01:52:40 | Speaker 9:

I did. How did you take them?

01:52:41 - 01:52:42 | Speaker 3:

Selfie.

01:52:43 - 01:52:56 | Speaker 9:

Knocked the camera by the doctor, and thank God I did because it seemed like I might have something going on with having to contact a lawyer because I had another previous scar. I actually had pretty much lopped my arm off in an accident.

01:52:56 - 01:52:57 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Jesus Christ.

01:52:57 - 01:53:06 | Speaker 9:

And when they did one surgery where I developed a hematoma, they didn't put a drain in, correct?

01:53:06 - 01:53:09 | Speaker 3:

Oh, crap. I'm sorry. Thank you. I appreciate that.

01:53:09 - 01:53:11 | Speaker 9:

This has got to be a first-time caller.

01:53:11 - 01:53:13 | Speaker 3:

Are you a first-time caller, long-time listener?

01:53:14 - 01:53:14 | Speaker 9:

Yes, I am.

01:53:14 - 01:53:17 | Speaker 3:

Oh, jeez. Yes, I am.

01:53:17 - 01:53:20 | Speaker 5:

Give him a hand

01:53:20 - 01:53:27 | Speaker 3:

The guy's going to give us more hematomas And all the rest of that stuff Voices guys Lisa is an alias What's up Lisa

01:53:27 - 01:53:35 | Speaker 2:

Hi I hate when people post That their kid went poop or pee on the potty And especially when they share what's in the toilet

01:53:35 - 01:53:46 | Speaker 3:

Well Tag the potty too Trey what's happening It's Mojo in the morning

01:53:47 - 01:54:03 | Speaker 8:

Hey, what's going on, guys? Love you guys. We love you too, buddy. I'm with you, Mojo, man. It's the drama for me. I'll see a guy post, oh, I can't believe she would do this to me, and then I'll see her comment on it, and I'm like, oh, pop the popcorn. Here we go. I will sit there and read all 400 comments. This is going to be a good day.

01:54:04 - 01:54:04 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:54:05 - 01:54:09 | Speaker 8:

And they put all their business out there, and I'm like, oh, I can't believe they would say that.

01:54:09 - 01:54:33 | Speaker 3:

By the way, I never am the first guy commenting, though. I always wait for somebody to comment, And my favorite is the person that thinks it's like a birthday and writes, happy birthday. Have you ever done that on a post that you thought was a happy birthday post, only to go back and somebody say, no, their loved one died. Like they post a picture and I'm like, oh, happy birthday. Sometimes you just kind of like scroll fast.

01:54:34 - 01:54:38 | Speaker 7:

It's such a mojo thing to do. That's right. Absolutely a mojo thing.

01:54:39 - 01:54:44 | Speaker 3:

You know what though? It is kind of a birthday. It's the birth of their, they're going to heaven probably, right? I hope.

01:54:45 - 01:56:28 | Speaker 1:

Hey. Even if you're single, you're still getting screwed in many ways of your life. Screwed financially. Screwed by friends who tell you one thing, then do another. Screwed by your employer. See, you can still get screwed without having sex. This moment of clarity brought to you by Mojo in the Morning. back to mojo in the morning it's mojo in the morning here's my uh question right now and i'm going to ask this as a a little open forum talk topic have you ever had a family member screw you if so i want to hear from you because i had a thing happen to me that i just found out about about a family member that actually tried to like rob me tried to try to steal my credit card so the story is and i gotta not say names because of my sisters will kill me on this one i had to cancel my credit cards because i had uh one credit card specifically because i kept seeing charges appear on it i didn't understand what the hell the charges were and sometimes you do you know order something from somewhere and it's a different uh company or something so i didn't know what it was like the name shows up different the name shows up yeah well a few months back we have a family member that is a cousin of ours that was doing some artwork and doing some like different things you know making things with their you know with art and my and my sisters all said my sisters all came together and told my you know me and my brother tony and my brother bill hey it'd be really nice if you supported them you know maybe buy something from them so i'm like okay no problem i'll buy something from them and i'm like all right what's the cheapest thing they

01:56:28 - 01:56:34 | Speaker 3:

got you are so nice by the way well tony's way nicer because i think tony ended up buying more

01:56:34 - 01:57:22 | Speaker 1:

but i'm sucker on my face so i bought it from him it didn't cost much okay it was a few hundred dollars like five six hundred dollars okay so i guess it's more than a few couple yeah and got it and it's there and it's nice. Okay. You hate it. Well, I hate it because of the situation even more. Then I started noticing that there was charges that were on my card and I didn't know what it was, but I thought it was me because I'm like going, okay, I could see myself. I bought this and I had to go back and look at things I've ordered online and what I had my, my card attached to. And then finally I just said, screw it. I'm going to cancel my credit card, which by the way, is a great thing to do. If you've never done this before, cancel your credit cards every now and again call your bank and tell them you need a new credit card number because then you'll find out what services you've had your card attached to that you don't need. I had to cancel mine because

01:57:22 - 01:57:28 | Speaker 3:

I finally changed my last name on all my bank stuff and I am blown away. I'm your Dave Ramsey

01:57:28 - 01:57:42 | Speaker 1:

on this one. What I was paying for. Don't do that. Yeah. So what I found out was that my cousin was using my credit card without my permission to buy things and buy things in a big way of like $1,100 worth of stuff.

01:57:42 - 01:57:44 | Speaker 3:

What was he buying?

01:57:44 - 01:57:51 | Speaker 1:

I don't even know, but I don't know, but it was all coming out that, so the bank ended up having to go and do fraud

01:57:51 - 01:57:57 | Speaker 3:

on this. It is one thing to scam people, strangers. It is another thing to scam your own family.

01:57:57 - 01:57:58 | Speaker 1:

Sometimes it's easier, though.

01:57:59 - 01:58:06 | Speaker 3:

True. But did you have to call this? I don't know if you said boy or girl. Did you have to call him or her and

01:58:06 - 01:58:38 | Speaker 1:

have a little intervention? I had a conversation and also family had a conversation. You know what I do? I sick hand Pat on them. Oh, she'll make you feel bad. And she's got the time. She's got the time. Seriously. Don't say it like that. And Pat is like, seriously, I told Pat, I said, Pat, you know where you would be great? You should work for the, you know how in India they have like the guys that do the, hi, I'll help you with your customer service problem or whatever. They'll have the people that will answer the phone. I said, Pat, you should actually see if you can get a job with these guys.

01:58:38 - 01:58:44 | Speaker 3:

No, she should get a job with her local police department interrogating people who are suspected of a crime.

01:58:44 - 01:59:12 | Speaker 1:

She'll get it right out of them. Pat would be great with that. And she'd also be, remember back in the day when the malls had the lady with the clipboard that would ask you questions? Do you ever remember that at all? Like you'd walk through like 12 Oaks Mall. Oh, yeah. And there'd be the lady there and she'd be like, can I take a couple minutes of your time? And you're like, I am not signing up for your crap. She could work a kiosk at the mall. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Who had family screw them? Alexa, what's going on?

01:59:13 - 01:59:41 | Speaker 2:

Hi, good morning. Okay, so my dad is a business owner in Metro Detroit, and he employs a lot of our kind of close and extended family members. One of them stole a heavy piece of machinery from him and went and pawned it. And then the money that he got from pawning that piece of equipment was then stolen by an escort that he had hired. What? Oh, my God. I did not even get any of the back.

01:59:41 - 01:59:44 | Speaker 1:

Your dad hired a prostitute?

01:59:45 - 01:59:48 | Speaker 2:

No, no, no, no. The extended family member.

01:59:48 - 01:59:50 | Speaker 1:

Extended family member did. Okay.

01:59:50 - 01:59:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

01:59:53 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 1:

Wait, who was this? Like, when you say extended family, was it my situation where it was, like, cousin? Or was it somebody?

02:00:00 - 02:00:02 | Speaker 4:

It was his brother-in-law's brother.

02:00:03 - 02:00:28 | Speaker 2:

His brother-in-law's brother. So it's basically like an in-law. Yeah, like a, that's crazy. And the guy ended up hiring a prostitute that ended up, can you imagine if it wasn't that case where it was the, where now you know twofold. The guy's hiring prostitutes and he's a thief. Karma's a bitch. Rochelle, who do you think it was that was putting charges on the account here?

02:00:28 - 02:00:57 | Speaker 3:

i think it's kev's grandma oh my god i forgot about that you do not say bad things about grandma mother what what is by the way give us an update on that one sneaky i don't i don't think it was grandma grandma has like life insurance policies on all of the grandkids and like great grandkids she buys them when we're like super young because they're super cheap yeah and she just makes monthly payments so that when she said i think it was insurances that's what she was

02:00:57 - 02:01:09 | Speaker 2:

thinking about wait a second so grandmama buys life insurance on you so if you die she's rich yeah wow all the grandkids wow that's you know what i'll have a conversation with her later

02:01:09 - 02:02:20 | Speaker 5:

what's up patty how you doing hey i'm good how are you guys good we're talking about how did family screw you i actually had a family member that bought a house and a car in my name and i literally had to take them to court a house in a car a house and a car how were they able to do that because you need like specific information well my sister had stolen okay so my there's a big long story behind it she was going through a lot had a substance abuse problem stole my birth certificate, my driver's license, my security card. Oh, my God. That's brutal. Went into this car dealership, purchased the car to begin with, had the money for the down payment. Don't know where she got that from. I hate to even try and think where she got it from. Then after that, six months later, because she was making the payments on this vehicle, went in, purchased the house with that no money down thing, first time buyer, whole buyer thing. It's been in my name. I literally just got the house and the car taken care of and just found out she's got $16,000 in credit cards that are in my name as well. Oh, my God.

02:02:20 - 02:02:23 | Speaker 2:

It's horrible, and it's probably a nicer car than what you're driving.

02:02:25 - 02:02:33 | Speaker 5:

Well, it was. When the car dealership found out this car actually belonged to me, they asked me if I wanted it, and of course I did.

02:02:34 - 02:02:36 | Speaker 3:

I mean, you've been paying for it.

02:02:36 - 02:02:41 | Speaker 2:

Exactly. Carly, who was the family member that robbed you?

02:02:41 - 02:03:20 | Speaker 4:

so that was my mother-in-law oh my god your mother-in-law that's yeah so what happened was her father passed away and he um you know left everything to her she's only child and he was well off and the house was paid off so now she's well off um and she offered to sell us the house and then we were also going to be able to put like money into it to remodel it to make it like a real home well she hired the person and we would talk to the guy that was helping us remodel it but then we talked to them and then she would talk to them later and then it would be like stuff that would hike up the price and we found out about it and it got too bad and we just pulled out the

02:03:20 - 02:03:35 | Speaker 2:

whole thing unreal god can you imagine your mother-in-law like you think you got mother-in-law problems when your mother-in-law robs you uh initial a is with us right now your sister stole from you and what did your sister steal

02:03:35 - 02:03:45 | Speaker 4:

hello hi are you there hey oh initial a mojo you don't have her picked up i don't it didn't

02:03:45 - 02:03:51 | Speaker 2:

click in there you go initial a are you there hi i'm here how are you good you're what did

02:03:51 - 02:04:25 | Speaker 1:

your sister steal from you no not my sister my dad your dad yes he asked me for my social security number so that i could be his beneficiary and we haven't spoken in 15 years what so what did he end up like stealing he was trying to just get a hold of my information thought that i would share my social security so did you give it to him no of course not

02:04:25 - 02:04:32 | Speaker 2:

but then how did you find out if you didn't give it to him that he was not telling the truth, that he was going to actually give you money.

02:04:33 - 02:04:42 | Speaker 1:

Because you don't need a social security beneficiary. God, you're smart. Yes, you do. I just did it. You do. Not if it's your child.

02:04:43 - 02:04:51 | Speaker 2:

Really? So you just put your child down as your beneficiary? No, I have life insurance here at the station. I just put my kids down. I didn't put their social

02:04:51 - 02:04:55 | Speaker 1:

securities down. Well, for some things, you do need it. Wow, that's interesting.

02:04:55 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 2:

So you knew that your dad was that much of a scammer that he was doing that for you?

02:05:00 - 02:05:03 | Speaker 4:

Yes, he's taken money from multiple people

02:05:03 - 02:05:08 | Speaker 3:

Wow That's crazy That's so sad

02:05:08 - 02:05:10 | Speaker 4:

I mean listen

02:05:10 - 02:05:17 | Speaker 3:

It's one thing to write off like a cousin in my case It's another thing when you gotta write off Your dad Man

02:05:17 - 02:05:37 | Speaker 2:

02:05:37 - 02:05:45 | Speaker 3:

Last dirty of the day. Of the week. Of the week. Yeah. And we got a special giveaway at the end of the dirty, so make sure you're listening.

02:05:46 - 02:08:45 | Speaker 4:

I want to go back to the Justin Bieber story that we were talking about a little bit earlier today. Justin Bieber sparking further fears with fans after he made a surprise appearance at Haley's Road Beauty pop-up in L.A. this week. i want you to google the video it's trending right now so it won't be hard to find but he shows up he's wearing dark sunglasses an oversized shirt baggy jeans but the way he was acting something very very clearly wrong um he's shifting his weight between his feet he's very itchy like constantly itching his legs clenching his jaw he looks unhealthy one person commenting on the video what i think everybody who is watching it is thinking this is so hard to watch somebody please help him it comes amid some concerns about his appearance his health um so many different believers have come together to go okay what is happening like is this a substance abuse issue um is his strained marriage to blame for his you know physical deterioration um is it diddy is it diddy's you know fall from grace i mean diddy was one of his mentors and with everything happening i don't know but when you see the video i think you're gonna you'll be taken aback for sure i definitely was yeah we called this one that video of drake attacking a drone with a sandal in a hotel uh it's a promo stunt for a casino i think drake currently middle in the middle of his first australia and new zealand tour in eight years so he's on this beautiful balcony. But if you notice, the drone kind of zooms in on a laptop that's on an outdoor table. And that's when you see Drake stepping out into the patio before throwing his sandal at the drone. The footage then breaks up showing what looks to be like a beautiful penthouse in Sydney, Australia. But Drake later shared a screenshot of that video on Instagram, where he gave a nod to the online casino stake and he wrote the stakes are high but so am i and i think he's been a partner with them for a couple of years now so yeah i think that's what it was criminal negligence charges against three of the five people indicted in connection with the death of one direction's liam payne have been dropped the argentinian federal appeals court ordered the two other defendants a former employee at the casas or hotel where his fatal fall happened and then a waiter who had served him, they must remain in custody. They are charged specifically with supplying Liam narcotics. As for the other three, the businessman who accompanied Liam on the trip and then two hotel employees, they are saying they had no obligation to care for Liam even in his inebriated state. So they are off the hook. And lastly, some big political dirty happening yesterday afternoon. Republican Mitch McConnell announced yesterday that when

02:08:45 - 02:08:54 | Speaker 4:

his current term ends he will not seek re-election. Representing our commonwealth has been

02:08:54 - 02:09:04 | Speaker 1:

the honor of a lifetime. My current term in the senate will be my last. Big news because he is

02:09:04 - 02:09:14 | Speaker 4:

the longest serving senate party leader in U.S. history. Hey for all of this week's dirty catch up on the podcast on the totally free iHeart video app or mojointhemorning.com

Celebrity Dirt directly from the source is Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:09:22 - 02:09:23 | Unknown:

Frightening

02:09:23 - 02:09:47 | Speaker 3:

now. Back to Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning. Mojo, Shannon, Megan, Cav, Lydia, Zach with us this morning and we got a lot of stuff to talk about today. Shannon and the thing that you have to be careful of saying when somebody comes up to you in a bar and asks you what, Shannon?

02:09:47 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 4:

Are you single? So if somebody came up to those of us on the show who are in a relationship and you were like, you know, talking to somebody at a bar or restaurant or just out in general, and then somewhere in the...

02:10:00 - 02:11:22 | Speaker 2:

the conversation they said hey hey kev are you are you single what would be your response like no i got a girl okay so wes asked me no i got a girl wes asked me that question he's like somebody comes up to you you're talking you know whatever's making conversation and then they said wait wait a second are you single what what would you say shan and i was like i think i would say oh gosh no i'm so sorry i'm flattered but i'm married and he watched this video i think he watched it on tick tock and he's like you're wrong that's not that's not what you say you are supposed to very firmly answer with one word no and the reason is if your response is not a simple no you're opening yourself up to a threat and this video and i he was trying to find it last night for me because we were talking about this and he couldn't find it but um the video said something like most people start their response by saying i'm sorry which i would because i i apologize for everything i don't know why it's the worst habit um like i'm sorry i'm married or i'm sorry i have a you know a boyfriend or a husband or whatever and you should never have to apologize for being in a relationship anything other than no including i'm sorry opens discussion up for a follow-up question and then more discussion and then a follow-up it's supposed to be no and that's it interesting very interesting

02:11:22 - 02:11:33 | Speaker 4:

Because now I'm thinking about what I just said No, I got a girl That allows the question You can start asking questions How long have you been together? Why is she just your girl? Do you want a guy?

02:11:34 - 02:11:49 | Speaker 2:

All those things I never even realized this And I was talking to I can't remember, Mike I think it was you and Allie And I said to Allie I was like, just test it Ask Wes Are you single? He has gotten so crazy about it He's like, no!

02:11:50 - 02:12:04 | Speaker 1:

You will back up from him he's not going to screw this up so i did this to wes and the way he screamed in my face i was like i feel like i have enough of your dna from your spit to clone you yeah but isn't that angel like

02:12:04 - 02:12:18 | Speaker 2:

you don't think about that and especially like i feel like a lot of women do the oh thank you but no i'm sorry i'm married why do we do that i don't know i don't know and i thought it was

02:12:18 - 02:12:28 | Speaker 1:

really funny that on one of your instagram posts because i knew the two of you did this i commented oh damn girl you single and our listeners were like that is so disrespectful and i was just

02:12:28 - 02:12:53 | Speaker 5:

waiting for shannon to put in all caps no i always ask when somebody says are you single i say who's asking and then then i know but it is it is interesting that we apologize for being in a relationship uh which is kind of weird that that's like our first psychological thing to do Like we're supposed to be shamed of that

02:12:53 - 02:13:01 | Speaker 3:

I thought it was apologizing for making the person Feel like They put themselves out there And you're apologizing because they're taken Or whatever

02:13:01 - 02:13:14 | Speaker 5:

I guess no I think you're right I think that might be why we do it The other one too It seems really aggressive to go no That makes me feel like I need to apologize After my no

02:13:14 - 02:13:17 | Speaker 2:

Right yes absolutely

02:13:17 - 02:14:21 | Speaker 5:

And as far as the whole follow-up question thing like the follow-up question thing only gets followed up if it looks like your body language shows that you're not happy being in a relationship agree oh like if you say like if kev says no i got a girl but he says you know yeah no i got a girl like no i got a girl and yeah i'm i'm very happy or no i got a girl and but hey she ain't here she ain't here right now you know what i mean i got it i got a girl i got a girl um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 the text is 95500 just with this in mind i'd like to to ask you guys to call us up and tell us if you've ever been put in a position like this where you've been out and somebody will come up to you and ask you if you're uh single or if you're in a relationship and uh and see if that this has ever been something that has ever gotten you in trouble or near trouble

02:14:21 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 4:

i look uh i'll tell you a story this wasn't you sure you want to tell the story yeah this is this is older this is this is years ago this and this this wasn't like this isn't like a fun story like an attractive woman came up and asked me and i said this is a story where i like the person i was with was so embarrassed so this lady wanted me to emcee her wedding and she had a circus theme like wedding and she wanted me to be like her ringmaster she it was crazy it was somewhere in pontiac they had like twirly ladies from the sky fire breathers swallow swords wow it was wild it was crazy so she wants to take me out to

02:15:00 - 02:15:46 | Speaker 5:

dinner with my girlfriend quote unquote girlfriend and with her future husband so they can meet us and we can talk the lady says well how long have you guys been together and i'm like you're not together oh it literally crushed her she didn't say i don't even know like i felt like you were together we you were i guess but i really wasn't in it for real like but at the point we had been together quote unquote for like two years it was like it was a while i know it was the worst thing i've ever done in my life it was it was terrible and was that it after that day no we still messed around yeah by the way he still messed around with you after that i'm like that i i like to

02:15:46 - 02:15:55 | Speaker 4:

i like sherelle to know that he's always been a fool like this yes um hayley what's going on it's mojo in the morning how are you

02:15:55 - 02:16:15 | Speaker 2:

hi so um my now ex-husband and i were at a bar and he was getting us drinks and a guy walked up to me and asked if i you know was with that guy and i was like yeah you know that's my husband he goes oh well is it serious and i was so off cut and i was like uh yeah like that's the whole

02:16:15 - 02:16:21 | Speaker 4:

purpose of being married i guess you can't pause on that though you can't give an ah to that what

02:16:21 - 02:16:25 | Speaker 3:

Bold follow-up. Is it serious? Are you happy?

02:16:26 - 02:16:28 | Speaker 4:

Jodi, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. How are you?

02:16:30 - 02:16:42 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, if you just meet someone and you've had a conversation and they're asking you, are you single? I mean, that's pretty pretentious to believe that it's because they're interested in you.

02:16:42 - 02:16:45 | Speaker 4:

Why would they ask that question, though? Why does it matter?

02:16:46 - 02:16:50 | Speaker 3:

Just as a matter of, you know, getting to know you.

02:16:51 - 02:17:01 | Speaker 4:

I mean, that'd be like them saying, do you have a good job? Like, as you know, I mean, usually if they're asking you, are you single? They're inquisitive of what your relationship status is.

02:17:01 - 02:17:16 | Speaker 3:

It just seems weird that if someone asks you, are you single? You'd go, oh, no, I'm sorry. If you're single, you are. If you're not, you're not. You wouldn't have to, like, apologize.

02:17:16 - 02:17:26 | Speaker 4:

But if you're in a bar and you're just hanging out, why would that even be one of the questions that they would care for unless it was that you were being...

02:17:26 - 02:17:32 | Speaker 3:

They wanted that answer for a reason. Yeah. Yeah, I guess.

02:17:34 - 02:17:36 | Speaker 4:

By the way, question for you, Jodi.

02:17:36 - 02:17:37 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

02:17:37 - 02:17:38 | Speaker 4:

Are you single?

02:17:40 - 02:17:43 | Speaker 3:

Hmm, who's asking? Yeah, see, I knew it.

02:17:43 - 02:17:52 | Speaker 4:

um aaron what's up it's mojo in the morning hi aaron hey mojo good morning everybody good

02:17:52 - 02:18:07 | Speaker 1:

morning what's going on hey ron it is a normal human response to apologize after saying no because i get hit on in the bathroom all the time by gay men and i know sorry really okay

02:18:07 - 02:18:10 | Speaker 4:

And it's kind of, is it flattering to get hit on in a bathroom by gay men?

02:18:11 - 02:18:16 | Speaker 1:

Hell yeah. It's not flattering at all. It's very awkward. What?

02:18:16 - 02:18:19 | Speaker 3:

That means they saw your joke, right? They're like, I'd like to see that closer.

02:18:22 - 02:18:42 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. Unless. Good for you. Unless you're doodying and then you wonder how they saw your joke. Neither new nor improved, but still better than the rest. Just Mojo in the Morning. This is the home of Mojo in the Morning.

02:18:43 - 02:18:46 | Speaker 5:

The world famous Channel 955.

02:18:47 - 02:20:48 | Speaker 4:

This is the Mojo in the Morning show. I had a couple of people come up to me in the last five days or so and do something that I found to be rather interesting. And I was sharing with a couple of people that it's interesting when people will come up to you and say stuff to you that you're like I don't know if you should necessarily share that but I've got thick skin let me just tell you that um I always love when people will come up to us and say I thought you would be and then they tell you what they thought that they assumed that you know we as people that work on the radio would be because a lot of times people don't get a chance to necessarily always meet the person that's talking on a radio or on television or your favorite shows in the movies and stuff like that and last week I had two I thought you would be one of them was kind of flattering the other one actually some may think was flattering some may not think it was flattering I actually had no problem with it the one that I found to be interesting was I thought you would be a person came up to me and said, I thought you would not be as fun and nice as you are in person which i found to be really really nice it was a mom and dad and their kid that i met when i was downtown and we were hanging out doing you know all of our our show stuff last week which was really nice like walked up to him started talking to him like they didn't come up to me i kind of saw them kind of you know hanging in the background and i just wanted to walk up and just say hi and i was honestly to be quite honest with you i was bored having conversations with the rest of you guys so i wanted to see other people and just go start talking to them there i am i thought you guys would be more interesting that's why i was walking over to them so that one was a good one and then here is my other one i thought that you would be fatter which was one of the ones that i got last week why do people say that to us i get that all

02:20:48 - 02:20:54 | Speaker 2:

the time do you it's such an insult you guys but y'all used to be bigger now but you and

02:20:54 - 02:21:16 | Speaker 3:

definitely you used to self-deprecate both of this is to both of you used to self-deprecate and talk about it all the time for sure so i think people in their heads got a picture of you if they haven't looked at social media and now you guys are both little skinny minis and so in their the picture in their head doesn't match who you are in person it's sort of like a compliment but not

02:21:16 - 02:21:27 | Speaker 2:

really it's not it's really not and mojo i might be talking for both of us but i'll definitely talk for myself, the reason why we talked about it so much is so you don't talk about it. Like, I'd rather just beat you

02:21:27 - 02:21:35 | Speaker 5:

to it, so don't bring it up. It's the Eminem eight-mile battle strategy. I'm going to say everything you could possibly say, so that way you have nothing to say. Correct. I never thought of it that way.

02:21:35 - 02:21:37 | Speaker 4:

I also don't know how people would just say that in general.

02:21:39 - 02:21:54 | Speaker 5:

You know what I mean? Y'all used to be bigger, though, so it's not like they lying. Say it again. It's facts. Y'all know that. And now y'all are going crazy. Look at how fat you are. Honestly, you know what's funny about that?

02:21:54 - 02:22:19 | Speaker 4:

I didn't necessarily think that that one was as bad as I thought you wouldn't be as nice. I thought to myself, I'm like, I don't think that I ever try to portray that I would never be an a-hole or anything. You know what I mean? I always thought that I'm kind of relatively fun, but maybe I've been harsh or something on the radio from time to time.

02:22:19 - 02:22:22 | Speaker 3:

I get the same one. Every single time.

02:22:22 - 02:22:23 | Speaker 4:

Which one?

02:22:23 - 02:22:28 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. I thought you'd be taller. Oh, really? I have not grown since sixth grade.

02:22:29 - 02:22:47 | Speaker 5:

I've gotten that one before. Around my birthday, I thought you were younger. I remember a dancer. This is because my birthday was on a Pistons game, like our last game of the season. So we had like a little birthday celebration. She's like, how old are you? I told her. She's like, oh, I thought you were my age. I thought you'd be younger. She's like 22. I'm like, ew.

02:22:47 - 02:22:52 | Speaker 4:

Can I tell you, though? That's actually a good one, though. Because that just means that you look younger.

02:22:53 - 02:23:01 | Speaker 5:

I know, but it's like Mike said. It's one of those backhanded compliments. It's like, yeah, you seem younger, but damn, you're old. Like, you're that old? I thought you'd be younger.

02:23:02 - 02:23:03 | Speaker 4:

What's going on, Danny? How are you?

02:23:03 - 02:23:21 | Speaker 1:

Hey, good morning, everyone. Good morning. Listen, Mojo. Yeah. Nobody's more blunt than older Chaldean ladies. Oh, yes. All my dad's cousins, every time I go to a wedding, every time they see me, wow, look at your stomach. What happened?

02:23:22 - 02:23:23 | Speaker 2:

So, Kenny's bold.

02:23:24 - 02:23:43 | Speaker 1:

And then the messed up part is, like, about a year ago, I got really, really sick. And part of it was I lost so much weight. But my stomach was still there because I was, you know, gaining fluid. And one of them walks up to me. She was like, oh, my God. Thank God you lost weight. Now we just got to work on your stomach. Oh, my goodness.

02:23:45 - 02:23:57 | Speaker 4:

For those that don't know, So Chaldean grandmas and moms are, like, Italian grandmas and moms. And they're very blunt, right?

02:23:57 - 02:24:06 | Speaker 1:

Very nice. Yeah, very, very blunt. And this is for Shannon. I don't know if she remembers this or not. Hey, Shannon, how big was it? Oh, my God. Oh, that's right. So big.

02:24:06 - 02:24:15 | Speaker 3:

Do you want to know something, Danny? When I was doing those commercials for Art Van, my grandma, she and his granny, actually left me a voicemail one day saying she thought that my cheeks were looking a little puffy.

02:24:15 - 02:24:20 | Speaker 4:

And she essentially called me chubby. Hold on. I'm going to find that, too, by the way.

02:24:20 - 02:24:26 | Speaker 3:

It's this big. Hold on a second. Last to be a voicemail saying that to me.

02:24:27 - 02:24:28 | Speaker 4:

Hold on. I think I got it.

02:24:28 - 02:24:32 | Speaker 1:

Kelsey and grandma and my dad's cousins are so blunt.

02:24:32 - 02:24:33 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh. That's so funny.

02:24:33 - 02:24:55 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Shannon's grandma. Hold on a second. I think I got it in here somewhere. I still remember. Hey, Shan, it's me, Graham. Where the heck is it? Oh, God. Shannon, why did you do this to me? I've got to find that. Don't look for it now. This is not good radio. No, it is. I swear to you, it's hysterically funny. You're building it up right now.

02:24:55 - 02:24:58 | Speaker 1:

I've been listening to you guys since you were at 955.

02:25:00 - 02:25:03 | Speaker 6:

Wow, that's a long time ago. God, you're old, Danny.

02:25:04 - 02:25:06 | Speaker 3:

You've got a big stomach and you're old.

02:25:07 - 02:25:10 | Speaker 6:

Join the club, Shannon. You almost did.

02:25:11 - 02:25:14 | Speaker 3:

You know what, Danny?

02:25:15 - 02:25:17 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Here you go. Here you go. Here's Shannon's grandma.

02:25:17 - 02:25:31 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Shan. It's Grandma Murphy. I was watching the TV and I saw the art man commercial. Shan, I think you better start exercising. That's what it was

02:25:31 - 02:25:34 | Speaker 3:

And it was my cheeks You gotta love granny

02:25:34 - 02:25:37 | Speaker 5:

We love you Danny

02:25:37 - 02:25:38 | Speaker 3:

You dick

02:25:38 - 02:25:43 | Speaker 7:

What's going on Sarah How you doing

02:25:43 - 02:25:46 | Speaker 3:

I'm doing good good morning

02:25:46 - 02:25:49 | Speaker 7:

Good morning what's up

02:25:49 - 02:26:17 | Speaker 3:

Um yes Mojo you often Call yourself fat And talk negatively about your body yeah and for the longest time i didn't know what you guys looked like and so i went on instagram and social media and then i thought oh my gosh what is he talking about he looks great oh thank you and you look amazing too and i've heard negative comments from your mouth before and i

02:26:17 - 02:26:28 | Speaker 7:

was like what are they talking about no you're you're right we we self-deprecate on our ourselves You know, but thank you. That's very kind of you to say for both of us. We both appreciate it.

02:26:28 - 02:26:33 | Speaker 3:

Of course. You guys both look amazing, and you need to know that and feel it.

02:26:33 - 02:26:39 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. No, that's right. I do. I will tell you this, though. I do look in the mirror every single day, and I'm like, oh, oh, oh.

02:26:40 - 02:26:45 | Speaker 3:

You look really skinny today. You took off that quarter zip, honest to God. And I was like, holy crap. Really? You can tell you've lost a lot of weight.

02:26:45 - 02:26:47 | Speaker 7:

You want me to take that quarter zip off one more time?

02:26:47 - 02:26:48 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no.

02:26:49 - 02:26:50 | Speaker 2:

It's this big.

02:26:51 - 02:26:52 | Speaker 7:

What's up, Markel?

02:26:52 - 02:27:19 | Speaker 2:

what's going on hi good morning first time caller what's going on i'm calling in because i listen to you every morning and i get so sad because the way you actually talk about yourself and i could not believe when i actually looked you up on instagram tiktok because you guys were on all the time yeah and i said this is not them this is not the way they portray themselves we're

02:27:19 - 02:27:37 | Speaker 7:

much you know some people look worse when they're on camera like we actually look better on camera than we do in real life to be honest with you yeah thank god for filters so i'm using i'm using a george clooney filter today i figure you know what the heck see i'm feeling that mojo's doing

02:27:37 - 02:27:42 | Speaker 5:

an old sales tactic it's called under promise over delivery that's right that's what he's doing

02:27:42 - 02:27:48 | Speaker 7:

that's right exactly uh what's happening jen what's going on good morning guys good morning

02:27:48 - 02:28:34 | Speaker 4:

Morning. So Shannon was right spot on when she talked about how you guys talk self-deprecating about yourself. Mojo, I've been listening to you forever, so I did investigate and found out that you speak negatively about yourself, and it's not true. But for Megan, Megan, when you came on the show, one of the things I didn't like about you was how self-deprecating you were. And in my head, I had this image based on your description of, quite frankly, an ugly young woman who was really large. And when I finally saw your picture, same as the other caller, I was like, what? This is not what I had in my mind at all. So it speaks to the power of what you speak about. Power of words. Yeah. And a side note. Yes. Again, I have grown to not dislike you and you're growing on me. And I'm so happy.

02:28:34 - 02:28:36 | Speaker 5:

Oh, isn't that so?

02:28:36 - 02:28:42 | Speaker 4:

All the positive things that you're doing. It's really nice. I can hear a change and I can hear growth in you. It's great. Let's go, Jennifer.

02:28:42 - 02:28:45 | Speaker 3:

Jennifer, where do you live, Jennifer?

02:28:45 - 02:28:58 | Speaker 4:

Are you a Channel 955 listener? Yes. I have been listening since the days of Mojo, Spike, and the girl with the really obnoxious voice. You know what? This girl is honest. Jennifer, I won't say her name because it's been so long.
