This is Dr. Laurie Santos from the Happiness Lab. Have you ever considered how the smallest details can create real emotion? Lexus does, like the feeling associated with the sound of a turn signal or the touch of a button as it's pressed. At Lexus, master craftsmen called Takumi are involved not just in physical craftsmanship, but in sensory details. These masters evaluate things like how a door closes, the click of a switch, the acoustic feedback of controls. Because a car that doesn't make you feel something is a car that stops short of amazing. Experience amazing at your Lexus dealer.

00:04:48 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 7:

than the chaldean mom you know i don't know no no no don't go there nicole's mom is pretty crazy just wait they're both up there

00:05:00 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 1:

For sure.

00:05:00 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 2:

Do you f***ing lost your mind?

00:05:03 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I agree with you.

00:05:04 - 00:05:07 | Speaker 2:

Nicole's mom is great. I'm just saying this woman is real special.

00:05:07 - 00:06:06 | Speaker 1:

Well, let's put it this way. She's a Kentucky mom because she lives in Paducah, Kentucky, which is funny because I've always heard the name Paducah, like the city, Paducah, but I've never known anybody from Paducah, Kentucky. All right. It's Mojo in the Morning show. Before I get to that, I used to have a program director that used to tell me back when I was first starting off that you couldn't even work in paducah and i did not even know what where paducah was and i couldn't spell it to be able to figure out how to look it up but your life has come full circle i could not even and guess what after this five lives i could work in paducah so get ready for that mojo in the morning show so yesterday on our show mike was discussing getting a brand new mattress like a big kid like a big kid he's moving up in the world He now has adult furniture, and something very embarrassing happened to him as the delivery of his mattress came.

00:06:07 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 2:

First off, I didn't know they delivered mattresses and then took the mattress from your house. That's how much I've not ordered adult furniture. I didn't even know that was a thing.

00:06:16 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 1:

So that was cool that they did that. Isn't that nice that you don't have to put it out at the corner or find somebody to take it?

00:06:20 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I had no idea that was an actual thing until they came. And they're like, yeah, that's part of the charge or whatever. And I was like, that's the greatest. And so they come in. And we ended up cleaning up the room or whatever because we knew they were going to bring in a mattress. So we didn't want to look like slobs. And so they start, like, removing the – we removed the sheets. But then they removed the mattress. And I forgot that Allie and I at one point put one of those, you know, those bed restraints that you put in between the mattress and then it comes around. It's like little handcuffs around the bed. Ow! Yeah. Yeah. Wait, you have one of those? Yes, we do. I feel like we've talked about this on the show before and you've never admitted that. Yeah, no, we do. But we don't. Oh, oh, oh, my God. But we don't – we clearly don't use them that often. I would have remembered they were there. Like I forgot. Oh, no. The mattress guy saw it. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. So he removes the mattress, and it's spread across the box spring. And then the two little, like, restraint things fall to the sides. And I go, oh. And she goes, and she looks at it. And you can't run and remove this thing. It's like a – it's huge. It wraps around the inside of the mattress. And I'm like, ah, there it is. I've been looking for it And the guys start laughing And Allie's face turns bright red And goes over, walks over She was very embarrassed at that moment Oh, I would be too

00:07:54 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 1:

Wait until she finds out you just told 3 million listeners

00:07:56 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, daddy

00:08:02 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 1:

By the way, that is hysterically funny And when you were telling that story All I kept thinking of was I bet you that delivery drivers see some very interesting things. Or, you know who else? Cable guys. For some reason, I think about this. I think about the Xfinity guy. Because whenever the Xfinity people have ever had to be at my house to do anything, I always have to clean things up in my house that I don't want them to see. And I can only imagine that they probably walk into some very interesting situations if they're fixing the television in the bedroom, you know? Yeah. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Any of our listeners ever had this happen to them where they were embarrassed? They had somebody, you know, see their kinky stuff and who is that person? And if you're somebody that has to go into homes and do, like, the pickup of a mattress and delivery of a mattress, I want to know what you saw. Oh, my God. I remember we had a mattress delivered to our house, a brand-new mattress delivered to our house, and they took off the old mattress, and underneath was dust and dirtiness.

00:09:12 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah, because you don't think about cleaning in there either. You forget what color the carpet looked like until you move to bed, and you see the one square of clean carpet.

00:09:20 - 00:09:32 | Speaker 1:

Chelsea was mortified. She felt so bad that the poor delivery guy actually saw that. How was the new mattress? How was the first night on the brand-new mattress?

00:09:32 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 2:

Well, we used the handcuffs, so that was it. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. No, it's amazing. Oh, my God, it's amazing. Is it? Yes, because I'm so used to getting into a bed that literally goes, because the box spring is so old. Yeah. And it's like memory foam, too, which I've never had before. Oh, wow. Yeah, you lay in it, and it melts to your body, and we got all those adjustable things. And I think the real reason we ended up doing it is

00:10:00 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 1:

because Allie's pregnant right now, so laying on our old mattress was just not... It was like a taco, but it was like a sideways taco. It folded in, so we would literally be uncomfortable the whole time. This was amazing.

00:10:12 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 6:

Can I say something about those memory foam things? So I stayed at my sister's house, and my sister had a memory foam bed that we slept on. Chelsea and I did. It's very difficult to move around in sometimes.

00:10:27 - 00:10:30 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't like them. And they're horrible for sex.

00:10:31 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 6:

Well, we did not have sex because of, well, we were at my sister's house, and that wasn't going to happen. But I could see where it would be very difficult for moving around. Have you ever tried to have sex on a memory foam mattress? Yeah, they're not good. No, I'm talking to Spike here.

00:10:44 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 2:

There's no pushback. There's no spring back. So you sink in. It's just not good to get any rhythm going or anything. You just can't.

00:10:52 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 3:

I don't think that's going to stop, Mike.

00:10:55 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 6:

Actually, at this point right now, you've already had sex. That's what you're trying to do right now. You're trying to keep your wife comforted.

00:11:01 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 3:

Right, right. I always wondered how people had sex on waterbeds.

00:11:03 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 6:

Remember waterbeds back in the day?

00:11:05 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 3:

My Aunt Kathy had one, and we loved it as kids. But I think about that now. First of all, I would get so sick. I would get so nauseous sleeping on a waterbed. But how did you have sex on one of those things?

00:11:17 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 6:

I had to roll off of waterbeds. Like when I would sleep in a waterbed, I would have to roll to get completely out of the thing. How was that a thing? It was difficult. It's very, very difficult Mojo in the Morning Hold on, Ryan, are you there? Yep Ryan, what happened?

00:11:37 - 00:11:57 | Speaker 4:

I used to work for a moving company And while we were moving this lady's dresser All of a sudden we just heard buzzing Coming from inside of the dresser And it was clearly a vibrator Oh God Nothing she could do to get to it So, you know, we just had to keep on moving it While it was buzzing And it was ridiculous

00:11:57 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 6:

What was the face like Describe what her face looked like When this happened

00:12:04 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 4:

She was just like She had to leave the situation

00:12:10 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 6:

The oh spit look on her face

00:12:12 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 4:

Do you start humming Very much so

00:12:14 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 6:

Do you start humming at that point Or trying to make a noise

00:12:17 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 1:

Somebody's cell phone ringing

00:12:21 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 6:

That's awesome What's up Jackie How you doing good how you doing oh my god hold on i thought that was one there in the background

00:12:30 - 00:12:51 | Speaker 5:

my girlfriend's uh sister came over to stay for the weekend and i didn't think anything about it she stayed in the bedroom and i was walking in the bedroom later in the morning and i was like uh wait a minute and they still have the shibari book and our ropes were hanging on the wall still

00:12:51 - 00:13:05 | Speaker 6:

oh my god though it's it's funny when uh you know you don't i guess we want to know that people have sex in healthier relationships but we don't know want to know about people tying themselves up and

00:13:05 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 5:

things like that right exactly you don't want your little sister knowing about it either yeah that's

00:13:10 - 00:13:38 | Speaker 6:

probably uh definitely something that you don't want to share there so that everybody's got a thing and you don't necessarily want everybody to know your thing that or the delivery guy from the bed company same thing right yeah have a great morning jackie yeah you too take care of yourself go back to water beds for a second does anybody still have a water bed is there any listener of ours that still sleeps in a water bed i don't even know if they're still around anymore i don't know

00:13:38 - 00:13:55 | Speaker 1:

i had one megan no i said i i still want one do you really yeah oh god yeah have you ever slept on one uh yeah one of my friends um their parents had one growing up and i think like you guys said all little kids jump into them and i just i've been fascinated with them ever since i was little

00:13:55 - 00:14:08 | Speaker 6:

it's interesting megan i don't think it's as comfortable though as you think it is like i think like i think it's it's it's weird when you're moving around like you know you almost kind of need to have uh what is it what's the anti-nausea medication you take if you go on a

00:14:08 - 00:14:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but, like, I slept on my couch last night, so the bar is low.

00:14:14 - 00:14:19 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I'm sorry. Couch sleeping is sometimes the best sleep you can get.

00:14:19 - 00:14:23 | Speaker 1:

I woke up this morning, and I cannot believe that I actually woke up.

00:14:24 - 00:14:29 | Speaker 6:

Here's what I want to know, and somebody needs to ask Rachel over at Garner White this.

00:14:29 - 00:14:29 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

00:14:29 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 6:

Why doesn't somebody make a couch bed? And what I mean by that is...

00:14:33 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 1:

It's a cheese.

00:14:33 - 00:14:43 | Speaker 6:

I know, but it's not necessarily good. And I know they have beds that pull out of couches. Why don't they have a couch that pulls out of a bed?

00:14:43 - 00:14:52 | Speaker 1:

I almost put a day bed in my living room as a couch. Did you? Almost, almost, almost.

00:14:52 - 00:15:15 | Speaker 3:

So Wes has the most comfortable couch in the world. Actually, truly, it is from Gardner White. And it's like a sectional. It's so soft. Yeah. But then it. has one of those humongous ottomans that matches it exactly and it's the same fabric so a lot of times if we're watching a movie we'll push the ottoman into the corner genius and then it's like this it's the same length as the side of the couch so it's like having a it's like having the

00:15:15 - 00:15:21 | Speaker 8:

bed right there i'm telling you always sleep right there i love that seriously i also shows you how

00:15:21 - 00:15:27 | Speaker 6:

much we're overpaying for mattresses when an ottoman is just as comfortable i don't know for

00:15:27 - 00:15:51 | Speaker 8:

some reason i always get a good sleep like i i yesterday was lecturing kp on don't take naps get to bed early because yesterday she came in and i could tell she was up late and she you know seemed a little kind of groggy and and i fell asleep on my couch yesterday kp and took a nap after i told you i'd never take naps i felt like such an a-hole for uh for doing that what's going

00:15:51 - 00:16:13 | Speaker 9:

on george yeah i was laughing about the water beds my ex-wife and i had one and it was always the hard time because she always would turn it up the temperature up to get it real hot and i liked it cooler so eventually i catch her when she wasn't there i pulled the knob off after i set it to my temperature and put it back on so that it read her temperature never had that problem

00:16:13 - 00:16:19 | Speaker 3:

anymore i did not know that that you could heat them up yeah yeah and it's you know i like to get

00:16:19 - 00:16:29 | Speaker 9:

to the bed where it's cool, and she always liked it hot, and I said, I'm not doing that. So I turned it down real low, got it cool, pulled the knob off, put it back on so it looked like it was at the high temperature.

00:16:29 - 00:16:34 | Speaker 8:

I wonder if you could heat them up too much where it could break and melt or something.

00:16:35 - 00:16:36 | Speaker 9:

I hated that bed.

00:16:36 - 00:16:47 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, I know. It's the worst. Tell me that you can get out of that bed without having to roll. I couldn't. I can't do it. I have to do one, two, three, like trying to get out of the damn thing.

00:16:47 - 00:16:51 | Speaker 9:

Even the waveless, it's the same thing. You've got to roll over the wood side.

00:16:51 - 00:16:52 | Speaker 8:

Yeah.

00:16:52 - 00:16:52 | Speaker 9:

It's a pain.

00:16:52 - 00:16:54 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, it's a pain. Thank you for the call. Take care, George.

00:16:55 - 00:17:03 | Speaker 7:

How smart are you? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events, and you tell us what year it happened.

00:17:04 - 00:17:10 | Speaker 8:

All this happened during the VMAs, but you remember when Nicki Minaj confronted Miley Cyrus on national television?

00:17:10 - 00:17:19 | Speaker 4:

And now, back to this bitch that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley, what's good?

00:17:20 - 00:17:23 | Speaker 8:

Ooh. Madonna surprised fans.

00:17:23 - 00:17:27 | Speaker 1:

We're all in this industry. We all do interviews, and we all know how they manipulate.

00:17:28 - 00:17:35 | Speaker 8:

I'll let her finish that off. Madonna surprised fans as she kissed Drake on stage at a performance at Coachella in this year.

00:17:35 - 00:17:54 | Speaker 2:

Madonna and Drake got hat and heavy last night at the Coachella Music Festival in California. After singing Express Yourself, 56-year-old grabbed Drake. She gave him a big, long smooch. But it's what happened after that really has people talking. Drake is seen wiping his mouth. He looks horrified by the whole gesture.

00:17:54 - 00:18:05 | Speaker 8:

And the big song from The Weeknd, which was from Fifty Shades of Grey, right? What year was this? We'll set you up with the prize. Good luck.

00:18:08 - 00:18:20 | Speaker 7:

You remember the year this stuff happened. 844-MOJO-LIVE. It's Mojo in the Morning's Back in the Day. Let's go! Back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:18:20 - 00:18:32 | Speaker 8:

It was the year that Miley Cyrus was on stage at the VMAs, and she got confronted by Nicki Minaj on national television because of something she said during an interview.

00:18:32 - 00:18:42 | Speaker 4:

And now, back to this bitch that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley, what's good?

00:18:44 - 00:18:50 | Speaker 1:

Hey, we're all in this industry. We all do interviews, and we all know how they manipulate.

00:18:51 - 00:18:57 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. This was also the year that Madonna surprised Drake with a kiss, only to have him wipe it off.

00:18:57 - 00:19:20 | Speaker 2:

madonna and drake got hat and heavy last night at the coachella music festival in california after singing express yourself 56 year old grabbed drake she gave him a big long smooch but it's what happened after that really has people talking drake is seen wiping his mouth he looks horrified by the whole gesture and the big song was from the weekend keisha what year was

on? Just played The Weeknd and now I'm going to have you play The Weeknd again because he is making the move from music to movies. Just landed his first starring role in a movie. I don't really have many details on this to be honest with you. I don't even think this movie has a title yet. But it was co-written by The Weeknd with director Trey Edward Schultz. It will Also star Wednesday actress Janet Ortega. She's so hot right now, so I'm wondering what this is about. If I get some details, I'll share them with you. But as of right now, I just know it's the weekend. Janet Ortega and they're doing a movie together. On yesterday's today's show, two people were missing from the broadcast, Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb. Savannah was on the air to start the show. I was watching her here in the studio, but all of a sudden, she had to leave her hosting position during the 7 o'clock hour because she tested positive for COVID.

00:21:28 - 00:21:37 | Speaker 3:

interesting morning for us as we said savannah left early she wasn't feeling great so she took a covid test it came back positive so of course as soon as we found out she rushed home to rest

00:21:37 - 00:21:48 | Speaker 6:

up so savannah we love you i don't know what's going on with coda with coda with hoda um she hasn't been on the show since february 17th and there's been no explanation for her absence so

00:21:48 - 00:21:55 | Speaker 4:

hope she's okay do you think she had an or got another baby and we just don't know yet oh maybe Yeah. It could be.

00:21:55 - 00:21:58 | Speaker 2:

Maybe, yeah. What's going on over at the other network?

00:21:58 - 00:21:59 | Speaker 6:

At GMA?

00:21:59 - 00:22:01 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, with the two that got fired for the affair.

00:22:01 - 00:22:04 | Speaker 6:

Well, they were in Mexico having a little vacation. I mean, they're gone. Yeah.

00:22:04 - 00:22:23 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Because I see updates every now and again. I'll get, like, alerts from, like, Daily Mail about those guys being seen places. Yeah. Don't you think that some network's going to, you know, hire both of them together? Yes. Because it would be, like, the perfect, like, a talk show or something like that? Because people are going to watch. They've gained fame off of their affair.

00:22:24 - 00:22:26 | Speaker 5:

How much money do you think they got in their severance?

00:22:26 - 00:22:29 | Speaker 2:

Oh, she supposedly got way more than him. Crazy amounts of money. I know that.

00:22:30 - 00:22:31 | Speaker 5:

So do you go back to work?

00:22:31 - 00:22:34 | Speaker 2:

Well, you know, eventually, yeah, because you got a lifestyle.

00:22:35 - 00:22:36 | Speaker 5:

You can write a book.

00:22:36 - 00:22:44 | Speaker 2:

Well, it could be. I don't know. I think that if they're smart, they come back to work. You know what they should do? They should host a relationship daytime talk show.

00:22:45 - 00:22:50 | Speaker 1:

Would that be tough? Because didn't she find out he was sleeping with just about everybody at the station for a while?

00:22:50 - 00:22:55 | Speaker 2:

But they're still together, though. Yeah. That's the thing. She obviously forgave him for all of that.

00:22:55 - 00:23:01 | Speaker 4:

Or is it a PR stunt? And they're not really together, but they have to have a strong front so that they're the victims in this whole thing.

00:23:01 - 00:23:02 | Speaker 2:

That could be.

00:23:02 - 00:23:04 | Speaker 4:

We never believe anything.

00:23:04 - 00:23:04 | Speaker 6:

I know.

00:23:04 - 00:23:08 | Speaker 4:

Because nothing's ever real. I know. Everything's always planned by a PR firm.

00:23:08 - 00:24:02 | Speaker 6:

Right. The SAG Awards are being called out for having Mark Wahlberg present an award to the mostly Asian cast of Everything Everywhere All at Once. Despite the fact that he once went to prison for assaulting two Vietnamese men, that was back in 1988. He was 16 years old at the time. Mark spent 45 days behind bars, and he's previously talked about this, and he said he's owned up to his mistakes. But still, many people on social media are and were questioning the choice to have him present that specific award. Texas A&M and Carnegie Mellon scientists conducted their own air quality tests using a mobile testing unit in East Palestine, Ohio. Want to know what they found? Nine potentially harmful chemicals in the area where that train derailed. And they said the findings are not necessarily an immediate health concern, but they did say repeated exposure over time could be very, very damaging.

00:24:03 - 00:24:09 | Speaker 2:

The water's bubbling. Birds and fish and animals are turning up dead.

00:24:09 - 00:24:12 | Speaker 6:

Skin rashes. Lots of cases of bronchitis all of a sudden.

00:24:12 - 00:24:21 | Speaker 2:

How is it that we don't, that the government doesn't retake these people and put them in another community and get them completely out of that area?

00:24:21 - 00:24:33 | Speaker 6:

Did you hear the story about the one guy who said that he used to have a really low voice and now all of a sudden his voice is high pitched and squeaky? Oh my gosh, really? And he's one of several who are having that symptom.

00:24:33 - 00:24:43 | Speaker 1:

Well, there's so many respiratory things. And like you said, these things might not be dangerous to take a sample and say, oh, it's safe to breathe today. But if you live there over time, that's how these diseases take hold.

00:24:43 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, and a frisbee-catching dog brought in for halftime entertainment during the Louisville men's basketball team game ended up pooping on the court. The little dog chose to pop a squat on its way off the hardwood during the Cardinals' eventual 71-54.

00:25:00 - 00:25:04 | Speaker 7:

For a loss to Virginia Tech at the KFC Yum Center last night. Listen to the crowd.

00:25:04 - 00:25:06 | Speaker 2:

The KFC Yum Center.

00:25:12 - 00:25:20 | Speaker 7:

The trainer picks up the dog and runs off the court with him, but he did one more poop on the way. You can see it along with all of today's dirty on the dirty page.

00:25:20 - 00:25:22 | Speaker 8:

I've got to be honest, that's probably more exciting than I'm catching frisbees.

00:25:23 - 00:25:25 | Speaker 7:

It's on MojoInTheMorning.com. Let the dog sound.

00:25:25 - 00:25:40 | Speaker 3:

Get more dirt at MojoInTheMorning.com. And another world-famous phone scam happens in minutes. You guys, you guys, you guys, great news. It's time for an official government survey. And when we mean official, we mean we're officially full of s***.

00:25:41 - 00:25:43 | Speaker 2:

This country is going to s***.

00:25:43 - 00:25:44 | Speaker 4:

You got it on Mojo.

00:25:44 - 00:25:46 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the Morning's senseless survey.

00:25:48 - 00:25:49 | Speaker 4:

Hello. Hey, how's it going?

00:25:50 - 00:25:50 | Speaker 5:

Good.

00:25:50 - 00:25:52 | Speaker 8:

Are you a citizen of the United States?

00:25:52 - 00:25:52 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:25:53 - 00:25:53 | Speaker 8:

How old are you?

00:25:54 - 00:25:54 | Speaker 5:

11.

00:25:55 - 00:25:56 | Speaker 8:

I'll talk to your mom if she's there. That'd be great.

00:25:57 - 00:26:01 | Speaker 5:

Okay. Mom? Phone.

00:26:03 - 00:26:04 | Speaker 8:

Tell her to hurry up.

00:26:04 - 00:26:05 | Speaker 5:

She's coming. Hello?

00:26:06 - 00:26:07 | Speaker 8:

Hey, how are you?

00:26:07 - 00:26:08 | Speaker 5:

Good, who's this?

00:26:08 - 00:26:20 | Speaker 8:

My name's Bob Dabalina. I'm calling from the U.S. Census Bureau. U.S. Census Bureau? Just a quick 30-second survey for your government. Do you think we should lower the pregnancy rate in high schools by supplying more children with the World of Warcraft game?

00:26:21 - 00:26:23 | Speaker 6:

Now, you know what? You're not from the census.

00:26:24 - 00:26:25 | Speaker 8:

How would you know that?

00:26:25 - 00:26:29 | Speaker 6:

Because you're asking me a question that has nothing to do with the census.

00:26:29 - 00:26:31 | Speaker 8:

Child conception statistics?

00:26:31 - 00:26:32 | Speaker 6:

Where are you calling from?

00:26:32 - 00:26:34 | Speaker 8:

From the U.S. Senseless Bureau.

00:26:34 - 00:26:35 | Speaker 6:

Census or senseless?

00:26:36 - 00:26:37 | Speaker 8:

Where are you from, if you don't mind me asking?

00:26:38 - 00:26:39 | Speaker 6:

You're calling me.

00:26:39 - 00:26:41 | Speaker 8:

You have a little bit of an accent there.

00:26:41 - 00:26:44 | Speaker 6:

Now, I don't think this phone call makes any sense.

00:26:45 - 00:26:48 | Speaker 8:

Well, that's why we're from the Senseless Bureau. You're kind of making this difficult on me.

00:26:49 - 00:26:51 | Speaker 6:

Well, the trouble is...

00:26:51 - 00:26:52 | Speaker 8:

Oh, it's no trouble. I don't mind.

00:26:52 - 00:26:56 | Speaker 6:

Is that you're misrepresenting yourself?

00:26:56 - 00:26:58 | Speaker 8:

You're filling me with self-doubt.

00:26:58 - 00:27:03 | Speaker 6:

And also, my phone number is on a no-call list, so you shouldn't even be calling me.

00:27:03 - 00:27:08 | Speaker 8:

Well, I didn't see that list. Do you think people would be more comfortable with Satan if you had a last name?

00:27:08 - 00:27:13 | Speaker 6:

I'm wondering what organization you're really calling from and what your real mission is.

00:27:13 - 00:27:14 | Speaker 8:

I'm afraid you're being a little hostile.

00:27:15 - 00:27:17 | Speaker 6:

But I find that you are misrepresenting yourself.

00:27:18 - 00:27:18 | Speaker 8:

You're being combative.

00:27:19 - 00:27:21 | Speaker 6:

Well, you're welcome to hang up.

00:27:21 - 00:27:22 | Speaker 8:

You're raising your voice at me.

00:27:22 - 00:27:24 | Speaker 6:

No, I actually am not.

00:27:24 - 00:27:38 | Speaker 8:

Goodbye. Well, you didn't answer your three questions. Jeez. You know what, dial her back, because this is just... I didn't even get two questions out yet. Try her again. Anne.

00:27:39 - 00:27:39 | Speaker 6:

Hello?

00:27:40 - 00:27:41 | Speaker 8:

I'm looking for Helena, please.

00:27:42 - 00:27:46 | Speaker 6:

You were inappropriate with my son when he answered the phone.

00:27:46 - 00:27:47 | Speaker 8:

I was?

00:27:47 - 00:27:51 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I'm going to... The next time you call me...

00:27:51 - 00:27:57 | Speaker 8:

I just realized that I don't think I've been using a number two pencil while recording your answers to these questions. Do you mind if we start back at the beginning again?

00:28:00 - 00:28:05 | Speaker 2:

You're not going to get much out of her. So, senseless survey here on the Mojo in the Morning show.

00:28:06 - 00:28:14 | Speaker 3:

How many quality questions can we get to? It's another senseless survey on Mojo in the Morning. It's Mojo in the Morning's 5 at 6.55.

00:28:15 - 00:28:21 | Speaker 1:

5 and 6.55, yo, 5 and 6.55, yo, no. Because girls is players, too.

00:28:22 - 00:28:44 | Speaker 2:

I get it in my head, and it just keeps going. Because girls is players, too. And, Holly, you are a player. Good morning. Going for your 14th win in a row today. You just need today and tomorrow, and then you're in that tournament of champions. But I will caution you, the last time that we came to this point, our champ lost.

00:28:46 - 00:28:47 | Speaker 5:

I know. It makes me nervous.

00:28:47 - 00:29:08 | Speaker 2:

I'm not trying to throw that out there, but I just have to say that I would be wrong and not. I'm like the Tony Romo that says, we haven't missed a field goal in how long? Or he hasn't missed a free throw in however, and it cost the game. Tim, did I put the jinx on Holly enough for you? How are you doing there, Tim?

00:29:09 - 00:29:11 | Speaker 4:

I'm doing well. I hope you did. I know it's going to be tough.

00:29:11 - 00:29:22 | Speaker 2:

I understand that, Tim, you played one time, or actually not one time, but many times. Tell everybody your history with the 5 of 655.

00:29:23 - 00:29:31 | Speaker 4:

Last January, I was a 15-time champion, and then I lost to Shannon. Wow. Oh, wow. Okay, so we're bringing out the stops.

00:29:31 - 00:29:32 | Speaker 8:

You were really good.

00:29:32 - 00:29:33 | Speaker 7:

Oh, wait, I love this.

00:29:33 - 00:29:39 | Speaker 8:

It's been over a year. Man, Holly's got to get through this hurdle first before she gets to Shannon.

00:29:39 - 00:30:00 | Speaker 2:

Don't get nervous, Holly. Okay, Tim, I'm going to lock Holly up in a soundproof area, and we're going to begin with you. I wish both you guys luck. Five pop culture trivia questions. Whoever gets the most right wins. Tie goes to the champion. If you are Holly, you can win with a tie. Don't worry about that. Tim, question number one. Zendaya just negotiated a tie.

00:30:00 - 00:30:28 | Speaker 1:

deal for this hit HBO show that now makes her one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood? Euphoria. Question number two. Word on the street is that King Charles is going to give Prince Harry and Meghan Markle the boot from their home in England, Frogmore Cottage, and give it to his disgraced family member who has ties to the late Jeffrey Epstein. Who is he going to give it to?

00:30:30 - 00:30:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's Prince. Three seconds. Prince Andrew.

00:30:37 - 00:31:06 | Speaker 1:

Just in time. Question number three. Travis Barker released some pics of his hand injury before heading into surgery. He smashed his finger and tore some ligaments while playing the drums. What band is Travis part of? Link 182. Question number four. Today is Justin Bieber's birthday. How old is he turning? I'll give you a multiple choice. Is he turning A, 29, B, 26, or C, 23?

00:31:08 - 00:31:12 | Speaker 2:

Oh, God. 29.

00:31:12 - 00:31:31 | Speaker 1:

And question number five, despite being jailed, being in jail, Tory Lanez is still on the promos for the Rolling Loud Music Festival that is going down in California this weekend. He's facing 22 years behind bars for shooting this rapper in the foot.

00:31:33 - 00:31:35 | Speaker 2:

I think that was Megan Thee Stallion.

00:31:36 - 00:31:39 | Speaker 1:

Let's bring the champ back from a soundproof area.

00:31:39 - 00:31:48 | Speaker 2:

I felt like I was holding my breath the whole time for you. Holly, you ready? You got to get all five right. Okay, let's go. Tim didn't miss one.

00:31:48 - 00:31:50 | Speaker 1:

And he was very dramatic with his answers.

00:31:50 - 00:31:52 | Speaker 2:

I didn't know if you were going to get some of them.

00:31:52 - 00:32:05 | Speaker 1:

Here we go, Holly. Cannot miss any of these for your 14th win. Question number one. Zendaya just negotiated a deal for this hit HBO show that now makes her one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood.

00:32:06 - 00:32:08 | Speaker 2:

Euphoria. Yes. One to one.

00:32:09 - 00:32:25 | Speaker 1:

Question number two. Word on the street is that King Charles is going to give Prince Harry and Meghan Markle the boot from their home in England, Frogmore Cottage, and give it to his disgraced family member who had ties to the late Jeffrey Epstein. Who is it?

00:32:26 - 00:32:27 | Speaker 2:

Prince Andrew.

00:32:27 - 00:32:40 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Two to two. Question number three. Travis Barker released some pics of a hand injury that he had heading into surgery. He smashed his finger and tore some ligaments while playing the drums. What band is Travis part of?

00:32:41 - 00:32:43 | Speaker 2:

Blink-182. Yep. Three to three.

00:32:43 - 00:32:52 | Speaker 1:

Got to get these two right. You got to be perfect today to win with a tie. Question number four. Today is Justin Bieber's birthday. How old is he turning?

00:32:53 - 00:32:54 | Speaker 2:

29.

00:32:54 - 00:33:27 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I didn't even need to give her that. Wow. And question number five, it all comes down to this. You got to get this question right. If you get it right, you have won your 14th and beat a former 15-time champion. Despite being in jail, Tory Lanez is still on all the promos for the Rolling Loud Music Festival that is going down in California this weekend. He's facing 22 years behind bars for shooting this rapper in the foot.

00:33:28 - 00:33:29 | Speaker 2:

Megan Thee Stallion.

00:33:29 - 00:34:05 | Speaker 1:

You are the champ. Yeah. Wow, wow. Give her it. That's a big one. Beating a 15-time champion. We did you dirty by that, by the way. That was bringing Tim back. That was amazing. Congratulations to you, Holly. Nice work on that. You've got 14. You've been on with us. You've been on with us for, you know, two straight weeks. Actually, three if you're just doing the Monday, Friday thing. And you're going to be coming back tomorrow morning for your 15th win in a row. Man.

00:34:05 - 00:34:05 | Speaker 2:

I'm excited.

00:34:06 - 00:34:09 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Refresh me on this. What do you do, Holly?

00:34:10 - 00:34:14 | Speaker 2:

I am a chief therapist for kids, so I work in the schools and at a pediatric clinic.

00:34:15 - 00:34:15 | Speaker 1:

That's amazing.

00:34:15 - 00:34:25 | Speaker 2:

So slowly but surely, a lot of staff members and clients, families, and friends have come to find out that I've been on the radio. So it's been an interesting last few weeks.

00:34:25 - 00:34:42 | Speaker 1:

That's awesome. That's incredible. All right. Well, Tim, we got a parting gift for you. Hang on the phone for a second. We're going to set you up with a family four-pack of tickets to launch Trampoline Park, two locations in the Detroit area, Novi and Ann Arbor. It's something for all ages. Hang on the phone, and we will see you tomorrow.

00:34:44 - 00:34:50 | Speaker 2:

00:40:34 - 00:40:35 | Speaker 1:

I know. It's horrible.

00:40:35 - 00:40:49 | Speaker 5:

No, it's just, no, no. He could do it. I can verify this because I had beautiful babies, but my babies are also a little bit more discreet than their mama sometimes.

00:40:50 - 00:40:56 | Speaker 3:

Wait a second. Are you saying, Mom, that you're more adventurous sexually than your son Kenny?

00:40:56 - 00:41:01 | Speaker 5:

Well, I mean I haven't ever had enough I'm just saying

00:41:01 - 00:41:16 | Speaker 3:

Now I got a cramp You just won a prize for your mom, Kenny Congratulations, buddy Awesome, thanks Mom?

00:41:16 - 00:41:17 | Speaker 5:

Is it diamonds?

00:41:18 - 00:41:27 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no No diamonds We actually got Kenny's company to give us his work truck and you get to have some fun in the back of it if you want.

00:41:28 - 00:41:36 | Speaker 5:

Oh, hell no. We don't need to make that an international porn.

00:41:41 - 00:41:46 | Speaker 3:

Mom, when you do that laugh, you make that noise. I love it. It's got a little like a wheeze laugh.

00:41:47 - 00:41:52 | Speaker 5:

I know. Everybody loves my laugh. They try to, and I'm like, you can't. You just can't.

00:41:52 - 00:41:54 | Speaker 3:

You can't duplicate it.

00:41:54 - 00:41:56 | Speaker 5:

You can't patent it. mine. You can't. Oh, my

00:41:56 - 00:42:02 | Speaker 3:

God. That's awesome. All right. Well, congratulations to you. Mom, are you okay with your voice being on the radio?

00:42:02 - 00:42:05 | Speaker 5:

Oh, sure. You only love one f***ing...

00:42:05 - 00:42:10 | Speaker 2:

I want to hang out with you, Mom.

00:42:12 - 00:42:15 | Speaker 5:

I'll drink you under the table. Bye.

00:42:24 - 00:42:30 | Speaker 1:

or morning show after the show on iHeartRadio. Tell your smart device to play the Mojo in the Morning Show on iHeartRadio.

00:42:42 - 00:42:52 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning Show, home of the phone scams, the war of the roses, dirty on the 30. Got the dirty coming up here in just a little bit. Shannon, what's breaking in this dirty report?

00:42:52 - 00:43:09 | Speaker 4:

Well, big news. Vanessa Bryant and her girls settled their claims against L.A. County over those helicopter crash photos from a couple of years ago. So I'll recap you on that. Prince Harry, Meghan Markle getting evicted by the king. We'll talk about that.

00:43:10 - 00:43:12 | Speaker 3:

And who they replaced in their houses. The controversy.

00:43:12 - 00:43:23 | Speaker 4:

And who's getting their old house. And then the Detroit Youth Choir on the finale of America's Got Talent and hooked up with Weezer. And it's so freaking good So I'll play that for you in the dirty

00:43:23 - 00:43:30 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the morning show So Spike, you were out at Planet Fitness yesterday

00:43:30 - 00:43:36 | Speaker 2:

Love our Planet Fitness And second time in a week Where's my trophy? I love that you have to post

00:43:36 - 00:43:41 | Speaker 4:

I love that you post like It happened It actually happened

00:43:41 - 00:43:41 | Speaker 1:

It actually happened

00:43:41 - 00:44:53 | Speaker 2:

The guy next to me on the treadmill His phone kept ringing And he kept talking very loudly So of course me being on a morning show I'm very nosy i'm listening to the conversation and like the third time it rang he goes again and he chatted for a few minutes and then five minutes later his phone rings again and you could tell it was the same person and he's so he hangs up and he says to me i just told her i was on the treadmill and then he asked me if my spouse calls all day long and i'm like well i'm not getting in this fight But I said, not really. I mean, Meg and I text back and forth, but sometimes we go all day without any contact until I get home from work or something. We're both very busy during the day. And I thought, this is a good topic for the radio. Spouses who just constantly call all day. Do you know someone like this? Does anyone have somebody that calls them all day while you're at work and stuff? I mean, this guy wasn't at work. He was in a treadmill, but still. And then can we talk about spouses who never call you? right right i know sometimes like oh i haven't checked in all day um but yeah like you know this is like three or four maybe it was three but three calls i was only like listen i'm only

00:44:53 - 00:45:07 | Speaker 3:

on the treadmill for 20 minutes i'm not that good this guy do you think this guy's got a A shady past, and his spouse doesn't trust him or something to call that much? Or maybe they had something crazy going on in their lives.

00:45:07 - 00:45:18 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. I wouldn't immediately put it on him. I have no evidence of that. I was just, you know, he said I'm on the treadmill, and then she called him back, so it was, like, annoying him that he's trying to work out, and she keeps calling.

00:45:19 - 00:45:23 | Speaker 3:

I have very patterned conversation with Chelsea during the week when I'm working.

00:45:23 - 00:45:24 | Speaker 5:

One's on the way home?

00:45:25 - 00:45:49 | Speaker 3:

Usually 12.30 is the check-in time. But it's usually 12.30 because that's usually the time that I finally am free enough to be able to talk. And she does not check in with me before that unless it's just a quick little guess what I saw on TikTok funny thing. You know what I mean? She'll send me something. But we don't really talk. We're not that couple that talks a lot. And you and Meg aren't that couple either?

00:45:49 - 00:45:58 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I don't even usually pick up the phone and call. I bet Shannon and Wes are. I text good morning. We text a lot all day. Back and forth all day, but I don't really call.

00:45:58 - 00:46:15 | Speaker 4:

You don't check up on him, though? I call him every time I get in the car coming home from the radio station. So he always knows. Okay, so that's same with mine. Whatever time I get in the car. But we text throughout the day, and then if we don't see each other, I'll call him towards the end of the day.

00:46:15 - 00:46:21 | Speaker 5:

There's a question for both of you. You're on your way home, and you're calling. Why are you calling? Like, I just text on my way home. I'm going to see her in 10 minutes.

00:46:21 - 00:46:25 | Speaker 4:

Oh, see, I want to talk to him and see how his morning was. He always likes to see what we did on the show.

00:46:25 - 00:46:47 | Speaker 3:

If I don't call, then she assumes I call and talk to somebody else because I always talk to people in the car. And then she assumes whoever I talk to rates higher than my wife rates. So I have to call. I call right away. And then if she says to me, hey, I got to call you back or I'm busy, I'm like, all right, quickly, who am I going to call now? And I'll call my son Joe or call somebody else after that.

00:46:48 - 00:46:49 | Speaker 5:

Mike, do you talk to – oh, go ahead, Megan.

00:46:49 - 00:47:00 | Speaker 1:

I'd much rather call than text. I hate texting all day with people. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. If we want to talk, let's talk for five minutes, but I'm not going to text you for five hours.

00:47:01 - 00:47:11 | Speaker 3:

And then the thing I think that Spike was bringing up that we kind of didn't touch upon was we're going to be home with them for a long time. Now we've just run out of everything we need to talk about. You know what I mean?

00:47:11 - 00:47:19 | Speaker 5:

Exactly. I did not have an exciting day. So I got to save the three things I have for conversation for dinner and for when I get it.

00:47:19 - 00:47:22 | Speaker 3:

That's a logical thing. Yeah. The illogical thing is you got to check in.

00:47:22 - 00:47:26 | Speaker 5:

Clear my palate and just listen to some music for the 10-minute ride home.

00:47:26 - 00:47:39 | Speaker 4:

I actually think I call my mom more in a day than I call Wes. Really? I call my mom and my sister Jacqueline just for, like, you know, spits and giggles. To just be like, oh, I forgot to tell you one thing. Or, oh, did you see this? Did you hear about this?

00:47:40 - 00:47:42 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Is this, who is this? Is this Poncho?

00:47:43 - 00:47:45 | Speaker 2:

Morning, my favorite gang in the world.

00:47:45 - 00:47:49 | Speaker 3:

What's happening, Poncho? You haven't checked in in a while. Have you been away, or what's the story?

00:47:50 - 00:47:53 | Speaker 2:

You guys haven't done much of a topic for me to actually call it.

00:47:53 - 00:47:59 | Speaker 3:

Oh, now you're – wait a second. Is that bad on us or bad on Poncho? I don't know.

00:47:59 - 00:48:00 | Speaker 5:

You just didn't identify.

00:48:01 - 00:48:02 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

00:48:03 - 00:48:07 | Speaker 2:

So I don't call my boyfriend all day, but I will –

00:48:07 - 00:48:16 | Speaker 3:

You will text him to tell you love him? Is that what you said? Your phone cut out? Yes. Maybe the reason you don't call him is because your phone cuts out.

00:48:17 - 00:48:19 | Speaker 2:

You can't get on him. I am a truck driver, so.

00:48:19 - 00:48:24 | Speaker 3:

Wait, so you're a truck driver. How do you kill time? Because I have to talk on the phone when I'm driving.

00:48:26 - 00:48:28 | Speaker 2:

Listening to you guys or listening to a podcast? Okay.

00:48:29 - 00:48:31 | Speaker 5:

I'm glad he's not chatting all day. I don't want him distracted.

00:48:31 - 00:49:00 | Speaker 3:

I know. I'm the worst at that. I would be the worst. The rating system company would never be able to give me any ability to rate people because I don't listen to the radio in my car. And the other thing, too, is I listen to a minute and two seconds of a song And then flip to the next song I'm the most annoying person to drive with I'm like how I do the throwback throwdown songs Where I play just clips of them That's what I like to do when I'm in my car too Kara, what's going on?

00:49:01 - 00:49:03 | Speaker 2:

Hi, good morning guys First time calling in

00:49:03 - 00:49:05 | Speaker 3:

Long time listener too, hopefully

00:49:05 - 00:49:07 | Speaker 2:

Yes, absolutely

00:49:07 - 00:49:09 | Speaker 3:

You gotta say first time, long time

00:49:09 - 00:49:11 | Speaker 2:

First time, long time

00:49:11 - 00:49:12 | Speaker 3:

There you go

00:49:12 - 00:49:31 | Speaker 2:

My fiance and I, we text her out the entire day We are busy But somehow we find a way But we do end up having a phone conversation Every day after work Of course the what do you want for dinner What do we have planned tonight for Or if I have a slight inconvenience I do call him And he has to listen to it

00:49:31 - 00:49:37 | Speaker 3:

What do you think about this guy though On the treadmill at Planet Fitness next to Spike

00:49:37 - 00:49:39 | Speaker 5:

Three phone calls in less than 20 minutes

00:49:39 - 00:49:45 | Speaker 2:

I feel like that would be awkward Because if you're heavy breathing and stuff That just makes it

00:49:45 - 00:49:45 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:49:46 - 00:49:51 | Speaker 2:

It just makes you feel really weird on the other end, I would feel. Unless you, did he disclose he was on the treadmill?

00:49:52 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 5:

Well, he was on the treadmill, and honestly, there's a sign right in front of us that says, you know, keep no cell phone conversations, because they don't want people being annoying on the treadmill.

00:50:00 - 00:50:12 | Speaker 4:

And I get it. You pick up if you're expecting something. You just, you know, make it quick and then be done. But she kept calling and calling, and I'm like, he did just tell her he's working out. So, like, you think this next call could wait a half hour.

00:50:12 - 00:50:16 | Speaker 3:

What kind of a fight would that start if you just showed her that picture and sent it to her?

00:50:18 - 00:50:22 | Speaker 4:

Or just hand the phone to me, and I'll say, I'm sorry, he's working out right now. He can't talk to you.

00:50:22 - 00:50:23 | Speaker 3:

Thank you for the call. What's up, Kenny?

00:50:24 - 00:50:25 | Speaker 1:

What's going on, guys? How are you guys doing this morning?

00:50:25 - 00:50:28 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. Good. You're not Kenny from Five Lies to Tell Your Mom, are you?

00:50:29 - 00:50:30 | Speaker 1:

God, no.

00:50:30 - 00:50:31 | Speaker 3:

Oh, did you hear that?

00:50:31 - 00:50:31 | Speaker 1:

My mom would kill me.

00:50:32 - 00:50:33 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. What's happening?

00:50:34 - 00:50:51 | Speaker 1:

So I just texted in. So me and my coworker, we're both truck drivers. And normally I leave for my route in the morning before he does. But normally once he leaves, he'll give me a call. And we'll be on the phone for hours all day. And then, like, our spouses will call. We'll patch over, talk to them for a minute, get off the phone, go right back to it.

00:50:51 - 00:51:07 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I imagine truck drivers, you've got a lot of time to kill, like the last caller we talked to, Pancho. but like when you're doing things during the day or you're at work during the day that's where i kind of question like what you know hey you know i'm at work yeah that kind of thing oh yeah we're

00:51:07 - 00:51:17 | Speaker 1:

both flatbed drivers we deliver with moffitts so we've got a loud machine going all day delivering to customers and uh the whole time we're just on the phone with our bluetooth talking the people

00:51:17 - 00:51:24 | Speaker 3:

that do that where they talk all day they just are like sickening love with each other you know that they're talking.

00:51:24 - 00:51:25 | Speaker 4:

Or there's something up.

00:51:26 - 00:51:43 | Speaker 2:

Were you guys with me? We met a listener. I know I met a listener who her fiance, I think it was, lives out of town. They're going to move in together when they get married. And they both work from home and they have each other up on a FaceTime call all day long. Oh, that's horrible. Even when they're working.

00:51:44 - 00:51:44 | Speaker 3:

Excessive.

00:51:44 - 00:51:47 | Speaker 2:

That is. And also, I mean, that's...

00:51:47 - 00:52:03 | Speaker 3:

You're going to burn out on each other. I mean, absence makes the heart grow fonder. so says Hallmark I don't know and your work and your boss Danielle your husband calls you all day when you're at work

00:52:03 - 00:52:34 | Speaker 5:

yeah he does so I'm a physician and my husband is a stay at home dad and he will call me all day long even though he knows I'm seeing patients throughout the day he'll even call me when he knows I'm in surgery and he'll you know say hey what's going on well i'm in surgery i can't talk right now oh my gosh to his defense he doesn't get to talk to adults all day long so i totally get it yeah so so is does

00:52:34 - 00:52:49 | Speaker 3:

he call you with anything valid to ask you like hey what do i do with this with the kids or any of that stuff or is it just does he ever call you while you're work and just go what are you doing yeah oh yeah yeah the what are you doing thing like what do you think i'm doing

00:52:49 - 00:53:05 | Speaker 4:

If you have a reason to call I get it If you want to say oh my gosh You don't believe what my mom just said Or hey can you stop at the grocery on the way home Or like if you have a reason to call I get it If it's what are you doing It's like I'm trying to get done my day So I can come home and see you

00:53:05 - 00:53:19 | Speaker 5:

Exactly and I wanted to say My sister actually used to be an intern On your show Who was that I've listened to Shannon I don't know Walker Yes! Oh, yeah.

00:53:19 - 00:53:20 | Speaker 4:

Love Shannon.

00:53:20 - 00:53:23 | Speaker 3:

For a second there, I thought you forgot your sister's name.

00:53:23 - 00:53:23 | Speaker 5:

No.

00:53:25 - 00:53:33 | Speaker 3:

Danielle, try this with your husband, okay? When he calls you up and he says, what are you doing? Say, it's not what I'm doing, it's who I'm doing. And then hang up the phone.

00:53:33 - 00:53:34 | Speaker 5:

Oh, gosh.

00:53:35 - 00:53:36 | Speaker 3:

Just see what happens.

00:53:36 - 00:53:42 | Speaker 5:

No, that would not be good because he's already, you know, worried the whole, like, Grey's Anatomy thing with physicians.

00:53:42 - 00:53:47 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. If you watch that show, every doctor's sleeping with other doctors in the closet. Yeah.

00:53:47 - 00:53:50 | Speaker 5:

Exactly, exactly That's funny

00:53:50 - 00:53:58 | Speaker 3:

We got a doctor that listens to this show, guys I think that's kind of fancy Thanks for the call, appreciate it

00:53:58 - 00:54:00 | Speaker 5:

So it came in late yesterday, but the Vanessa Bryant story is an interesting amount of money that they were awarded.

00:56:27 - 00:57:05 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, Vanessa Bryant and her children will receive more than $28 million to settle their outstanding claims against L.A. County over those really graphic photos that were taken and shared after the helicopter crash that killed Kobe and G.D. Bryant back in 2020. The settlement includes the $15 million that was awarded to them by a jury last summer. that additional nearly 14 mil settles other potential additional claims that Vanessa and her daughters pursued in state court. A statement from the lead counsel for LA County in the case reads, we hope Ms. Bryant and her children continue to heal from their loss. Almost 29

00:57:05 - 00:57:24 | Speaker 2:

million, really. That happens so often in California where if a celebrity is involved in something you heard these stories of ems police officers um you know officials that you would think are there to protect you taking pictures and then sending them off to tmz and yeah i mean

00:57:24 - 00:57:46 | Speaker 1:

i i think they're looking for this to be a precedent of it's it's gonna cost you yeah if you do that it's gonna cost you word on the street is that king charles is evicting prince harry and megan markle from frogmore cottage and offering the royal five-bedroom crib which they renovated by the way, to Prince Andrew. Yes, the one who had ties to the late Jeffrey Epstein.

00:57:46 - 00:57:47 | Speaker 2:

That's a slap in the face, huh?

00:57:47 - 00:58:26 | Speaker 1:

Insiders telling me the king got the ball rolling on this back in January. So what's happening right now? In fact, the day after Prince Harry's memoir, Spare, hit shelves, they got the notice that they were getting the boot. As far as I know, Harry and Meghan have not been offered an alternative home on the royal family's estate because when they do travel to the UK, they were supposed to stay on the royal family's property, But they're instead planning to ship the rest of their belongings to Montecito, California, where they currently live. Some McDonald's franchisees are annoyed about the partnership with Cardi B and Offset. Have you guys been to McDonald's in the past couple of weeks to see this or get the meal? No. Takes over the whole menu board.

00:58:27 - 00:58:28 | Speaker 2:

You talked about it recently.

00:58:28 - 00:59:11 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so it's a classic cheeseburger with barbecue sauce, a large Coke, a quarter pounder with cheese, and a large heisey orange, a large order of French fries, and an apple pie. Well, several restaurant owners have contacted McDonald's corporate to express concern that Cardi and Offset are hurting their family-friendly image. They said both rappers lead lifestyles and release music that are at odds with McDonald's branding. Explicit content in their lyrics. I mean, WAP. Did they have problems with any of the other collabs that have been going on? I was wondering. So these franchisees are all joining together and trying to get ads removed. merch related to this campaign removed. Like, they want to distance themselves from it.

00:59:11 - 00:59:14 | Speaker 2:

I wonder how much power a franchisee has. You know what I mean? I can't imagine that.

00:59:15 - 00:59:30 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I don't know. I know it kicked off on, it was right after the Super Bowl, right? Because it's like a Valentine's Day themed meal. It's like a love meal. But I think that, I mean, several hundred franchisees now want nothing to do with this thing.

00:59:30 - 00:59:43 | Speaker 2:

So, the other ones that have collabed, I know Travis Scott, but Travis Scott's, wasn't it before his issue that took place or before the concert stuff. It was the same kind of music. J Balvin.

00:59:43 - 00:59:44 | Speaker 1:

Saweetie had one, right?

00:59:44 - 00:59:48 | Speaker 2:

Saweetie, yeah. BTS, of course. BTS. Oh, yeah, I forgot about her.

00:59:49 - 01:00:20 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, on this week's finale of America's Got Talent, All-Stars, Weezer did their hit song Beverly Hills and were joined by one of the AGT fan. favorites, the Detroit youth choir. I'll leave you with this. Take my picture by the pool Cause I'm the next big bang in Beverly Hills. That's where I want to be. I love this song. Living in Beverly Hills, Beverly Hills.

01:00:20 - 01:00:24 | Speaker 2:

The kids are singing with them? Uh-huh.

01:00:24 - 01:00:31 | Speaker 1:

And dancing. They're so good. Check out the video and all of today's Dirty on the Dirty page at MojoInTheMorning.com.

01:00:40 - 01:00:41 | Speaker 2:

Hello, Gage.

01:00:42 - 01:00:44 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yo. Hey, Mojo.

01:00:44 - 01:00:45 | Speaker 2:

How you doing?

01:00:46 - 01:00:47 | Speaker 4:

I'm good. How are you?

01:00:48 - 01:00:59 | Speaker 2:

Good. Want to hang with us on St. Patrick's Day weekend? I sure do. Congratulations to you. We're going to set you up with some passes to go to Irish on Ionia. Sweet.

01:00:59 - 01:01:00 | Speaker 4:

Thank you very much.

01:01:01 - 01:01:16 | Speaker 2:

Congratulations to you. We're going to set you up with those passes, and we're going to qualify you for the entire VIP package that we're going to be doing, which is package includes a hotel stay at the city flats.

01:01:17 - 01:01:18 | Speaker 4:

Awesome. Thank you very much.

01:01:19 - 01:01:20 | Speaker 2:

Where are you from, Gage?

01:01:22 - 01:01:24 | Speaker 4:

I'm working in Sparta right now. I'm from Grand Rapids.

01:01:24 - 01:01:26 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really? So would you come up for this?

01:01:27 - 01:01:29 | Speaker 4:

Or come down for it? Yeah, it's close.

01:01:29 - 01:01:30 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I thought you said Florida.

01:01:31 - 01:01:34 | Speaker 4:

You said Sparta or Florida? Sparta.

01:01:34 - 01:01:37 | Speaker 2:

Sparta. Oh, okay. I thought you said Florida.

01:01:37 - 01:01:37 | Speaker 4:

I would say Florida.

01:01:38 - 01:02:07 | Speaker 2:

No, that would be, you know what? Honestly, it is, it's worth going to. Actually, talk about, you know, going to different cities and stuff like that. Megan, myself, EJ, and I don't even know who else. I know my wife and stuff. We're all going to go to Chicago next weekend for their celebration of dyeing the river green. So I know people that do that whole travel thing and end up going.

01:02:07 - 01:02:12 | Speaker 3:

Well, GR is definitely one worth traveling for when you see how huge Irish on Ionia is.

01:02:12 - 01:02:12 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah.

01:02:13 - 01:02:14 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I just hope I remember this trip.

01:02:17 - 01:02:37 | Speaker 2:

I'm looking at SNX's website right now, so 1045snx.com. And if you click on, you'll see it in there, Irish on Ionia, you can actually get all the details about Irish on Ionia, including a chance to also enter to win and get passes. But then you also, if you just want to buy tickets and you want to get them early, it's

01:02:37 - 01:02:39 | Speaker 4:

going to be fun. We have them at Hopcats, too. So if you want to go to Hopcat, any Hopcat.

01:02:40 - 01:02:45 | Speaker 2:

Anybody been to the newly opened Hopcat that just happened in Royal Oak? No.

01:02:45 - 01:02:50 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I heard great things. They just downsized from a different Royal Oak location.

01:02:50 - 01:02:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh, is it smaller?

01:02:51 - 01:02:55 | Speaker 3:

It's a little smaller. It's right on Main Street. I think it's a better location, I think.

01:02:55 - 01:02:57 | Speaker 2:

I've still never been to Hopgap.

01:02:57 - 01:02:59 | Speaker 3:

What? I know. What?

01:02:59 - 01:03:02 | Speaker 1:

I know. And I'm such a French fry lover. I heard their fries were. Oh, you're going to love their fries.

01:03:02 - 01:03:12 | Speaker 2:

Yes. What do you guys think? Is Mike going to plan our entire day? Or are we going to be so busy with Irish and Ionia that the day will be planned for us?

01:03:12 - 01:03:13 | Speaker 4:

No, we'll have time.

01:03:13 - 01:03:13 | Speaker 3:

We'll want to step in.

01:03:13 - 01:03:43 | Speaker 4:

So I have a surprise for, well, everybody, but it's specifically for you, Mojo, if you come to the kegs and eggs that morning. Okay. the earlier broadcast, I have, it's not confirmed yet, but I might have, I don't know if I should wait to tell you, but it is, you know, I'm just going to tell you. I'm going to tell you. Okay. I have to pull some strings here to make it happen. I have a giant ice luge with your face made out of it. Oh, my gosh. That people can do shots out of. Oh, my God.

01:03:43 - 01:03:52 | Speaker 3:

What part are we doing the shot out of? Well, you should have done his frog butt, and then we'd all have to, like, take a shot out of the crack.

01:03:52 - 01:03:53 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God, that would be great.

01:03:53 - 01:03:55 | Speaker 3:

That would be awesome.

01:03:55 - 01:04:09 | Speaker 2:

If it's not that, I'll stand over it and figure out a way. That's incredible. Absolutely. I'll be there. We'll be there for the broadcast, the slightly messy broadcast. It's going to be a slightly messy during broadcast and after this broadcast.

01:04:09 - 01:04:14 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah. It'll be Schmitty, myself, and Megan, and your giant face with a luge. That's incredible.

01:04:14 - 01:04:36 | Speaker 2:

That is so cool. That is awesome. Who are the other sponsors that we have to thank? What's the slushy company's name again? Sip Shine. Sip Shine. So Sip Shine is putting together a shamrock slushy for us for a special drink. And I'm hoping that that day is like what today is going to be, where we're supposed to have like a 50 degree. But no rain.

01:04:36 - 01:04:36 | Speaker 1:

I don't want rain.

01:04:37 - 01:04:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. It would be nice to be able to have that.

01:04:39 - 01:04:47 | Speaker 1:

I've already ordered all of my outfits for St. Patrick's Day. I normally don't. And this year, I'm like, I need to get something with shamrocks or something on it. Gotta look cute.

01:04:47 - 01:04:51 | Speaker 2:

KP, this is your first St. Patrick's Day with the Mojo in the Morning Show.

01:04:51 - 01:04:51 | Speaker 1:

I'm ready.

01:04:51 - 01:04:55 | Speaker 3:

Are you realizing this is not a sprint? It's a marathon.

01:04:55 - 01:04:56 | Speaker 1:

So I should bring IV bags?

01:04:57 - 01:05:00 | Speaker 3:

Like Irish and I own you is 10A to 10P, but we even...

01:05:00 - 01:05:04 | Speaker 2:

You didn't start earlier because the Kegs and Eggs broadcast with the Slightly Messy podcast starts at 8 a.m.

01:05:04 - 01:05:20 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to come a little bit later because I do have an event at Detroit Mercy or U of M. That's smart, though, because then you'll be able to pace yourself. Yeah, so I'll show up when you guys are a little more lit. I don't think I'm going to make it. That's what naps are for.

01:05:20 - 01:05:31 | Speaker 1:

So do you remember past St. Patrick's Days that we've had where was intern Jack Black was nude? Naked. Nude.

01:05:31 - 01:05:32 | Speaker 3:

Naked. On TV.

01:05:33 - 01:06:17 | Speaker 1:

Completely nude. Do you remember we did, in the past ones, we did Nude with Another Dude inside of the sleeping bags. We did The Potty of Gold. Our St. Patrick's Day broadcasts have always been notorious. We've had people that turned up missing afterwards. That was the weirdest thing where the next day we would lose in an intern or two. And actually, to be honest with you, everybody's always behaved themselves to a point where they haven't lost their job. They just lost their mind. And Spike always loses his voice, which is good because this year is on a Friday for St. Patrick's Day, which will be at Kennedy's in Waterford. Saturday will be Irish on Ionia. And then you have all day Sunday to rest that voice for Monday morning show.

01:06:17 - 01:06:47 | Speaker 2:

And the voice is always just from screaming over the loud music to talk to listeners all day. Because I'm also hosting, after Kennedy's on St. Patrick's Day, I'm hosting the Vintage House in Frasier, which is one of the big, it is probably the biggest indoor-outdoor party on St. Patrick's Day. Really? They got a big tent or something? They have a huge tent. And it was always like the biggest party, and then obviously they didn't have it the last two years. Everybody had to stop for COVID. So now it's back, and from noon to three, I'll be there hosting at Vintage House in Frasier. So Eastside always throws a huge party.

01:06:47 - 01:06:51 | Speaker 1:

And then- They hire the official leprechaun of the Mojo in the Morning Show.

01:06:52 - 01:07:07 | Speaker 2:

That's right. So they will get the beginning of my voice, and then I get in the car, and Meg drives me right to Grand Rapids Friday night. Friday night, Mike and Megan and I are going to go out as a pre-party to Irish on Ionia.

01:07:07 - 01:07:08 | Speaker 1:

Oh, man. You're brave.

01:07:08 - 01:07:10 | Speaker 2:

So it's a good 48-hour marathon.

01:07:10 - 01:07:14 | Speaker 1:

I'm driving in Saturday morning. I'm going to behave myself to be well-rested for that.

01:07:14 - 01:07:19 | Speaker 3:

I feel like I need to give Shannon an extra hotel room key for me because somebody's going to have to come wake me up.

01:07:20 - 01:07:38 | Speaker 2:

I'll catch you. Well, and we have to pick the right, we'll leave it up to Mike maybe, the right dinner spot for Ionia because Mojo was very nice to take us to dinner the last time we were broadcasting, but he really wanted to do the chop house, which is, you know, a really stuffy kind of steakhouse, so it kind of was like a—

01:07:38 - 01:07:38 | Speaker 1:

I thought it was good.

01:07:39 - 01:07:41 | Speaker 3:

It was amazing, but we will not be welcome there. Yeah.

01:07:41 - 01:07:48 | Speaker 2:

It was not rest properly. We were not appropriate for that nice venue. So we need to go somewhere where the party continues.

01:07:48 - 01:07:53 | Speaker 1:

Well, listen, we couldn't even get into Mojo's. The place is named Mojo's, and they wouldn't let us into Mojo's. That's right.

01:07:53 - 01:07:54 | Speaker 2:

I forgot about that.

01:07:54 - 01:08:26 | Speaker 1:

So it's the only place I know that I've had the name Mojo for my entire broadcast career. Mojo walks up to Mojo's and told, you guys can't come in. So I don't know. Are we welcome at everywhere? My thing is I don't like to go and just eat at – because it's always what ends up happening when we drink. It's fried food and I can't eat because I've got that stupid gluten allergy. So I have to eat something that's got good. Or I'm going to Killwind's, and that's the other thing, too.

01:08:26 - 01:08:27 | Speaker 3:

You go to Killwind's anyway.

01:08:27 - 01:08:36 | Speaker 1:

Can I tell you the funniest thing? Because they used to have Killwind's close to my house here, and then they closed down. So to me, Killwind's is like a vacation place.

01:08:36 - 01:08:42 | Speaker 3:

You are my five-year-old. When you smell Killwinds, you're like, do you want to get ice cream? What do you get, the French chocolate silk or something?

01:08:42 - 01:08:50 | Speaker 1:

I get the French silk ice cream, but then I also get one of those big everlasting gobstoppers that's so big you can't even fit it in your mouth. And I suck on it for about a month.

01:08:50 - 01:08:54 | Speaker 3:

Your eyes get as big as one of those gobstoppers when you smell the Killwinds.

01:08:54 - 01:08:54 | Speaker 1:

It is so good.

01:08:54 - 01:09:38 | Speaker 2:

You know, I don't do this very often, but can I dedicate today's phone scam? Sure. I met a, well, you'll find this surprising. I met a bartender. Meg and I were out, and I met Jessica, who was a bartender at the library pub. And as we're getting up ready to leave the bar, she came over and said, I didn't want to bother you. I'm really sorry. I don't want to disrupt your night. But she said, my dad and I used to sit in the car and listen to the phone scam every morning. And she would drive her dad to chemo and radiation at Henry Ford Health Systems. And she said her dad just passed. But one of the bright spots of his day was coming out of chemo and radiation, saying, did I miss the phone scam? And they would sit there and listen every day. So, Jessica, I just want to say we're thinking about you. It was really nice of you to say hi, and we love those kind of memories with the phone scams.

01:09:39 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 1:

Well, Joe, in the morning, phone scam. Hannah and Brittany work overnights together at one of our favorite stores that's open 24 hours a day. When they get done with their shifts in the morning, they enjoy a little treat together in the parking lot. Hannah never tried edibles before. in this game.

01:10:00 - 01:10:07 | Speaker 4:

Gave us the idea to call Brittany and scare her into thinking that Hannah had too much. It's a Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

01:10:07 - 01:10:21 | Speaker 2:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scams. Mojo in the Morning. Hello?

01:10:21 - 01:10:27 | Speaker 1:

Hello, this is Kumar Patel from the corporate office in New Jersey. I'm calling for Brittany, please.

01:10:28 - 01:10:29 | Speaker 5:

This is Brittany.

01:10:29 - 01:10:35 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Brittany. Have you spoken to Hannah K*** in the past few hours, your co-worker? Have you seen her?

01:10:36 - 01:10:38 | Speaker 5:

Not since work. Is everything okay?

01:10:39 - 01:11:30 | Speaker 1:

Yes, everything's fine. Well, let me bring you up to speed. Hannah came back into work after her shift was over, and the manager got a call on her radio about a disturbance by the front entrance. so she goes over to find hannah in her bra because she said she was hot and she was asking customers to quote motorboat her oh my god yes apparently hannah also went to the floral department and she was drinking all the water out of the floral displays no way oh my gosh um and Oh, weird. Is she okay? She's okay. She's waiting for her mom to come pick her up, and she's in the break room where she was just crying that she's never going to win Super Smash Bros, and nobody could console her.

01:11:30 - 01:11:32 | Speaker 5:

Like, is there anything that I can do?

01:11:33 - 01:11:38 | Speaker 1:

Well, you can fill me in. Was she acting strange or anything wrong?

01:11:38 - 01:11:39 | Speaker 5:

No, not at all.

01:11:40 - 01:12:02 | Speaker 1:

Because then she went to the produce section, and she took exactly one bite out of each apple. And I mean every apple. The Fiji, the Macintosh, the Golden Delicious, the Granny Smith, the Honey Crisps. Every apple. And then she was pointing to her bottom and yelling at customers, how do you like this juicy peach?

01:12:04 - 01:12:06 | Speaker 5:

Hannah was saying that?

01:12:06 - 01:12:12 | Speaker 1:

Yes, so I guess the reason I'm calling is, do you have any ideas of what got her into this?

01:12:12 - 01:12:16 | Speaker 5:

No, no. Are you kidding? Like, we were just, I mean...

01:12:16 - 01:12:29 | Speaker 1:

We looked at the security cameras, and we're trying to piece this together, and we noticed you two went into your car, sat there for almost half an hour, and then she got out and came back into the store, and you drove off. Did she talk about anything?

01:12:30 - 01:12:35 | Speaker 5:

No. I mean, you know, I don't know how many overnights she worked. Maybe she's just tired.

01:12:36 - 01:12:40 | Speaker 1:

Well, it seems to me she may be under the influence of something. What were you guys doing?

01:12:42 - 01:12:44 | Speaker 5:

No, we were just listening to music.

01:12:44 - 01:12:48 | Speaker 1:

Well, she was under the influence of a little more than Cardi B.

01:12:49 - 01:12:50 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I think she's tired.

01:12:51 - 01:13:01 | Speaker 1:

Brittany, we're all tired. I'm tired, you're tired. Why don't you just come clean? Were you guys having fun with the black gold, with the primo hydro bud, the chronic?

01:13:02 - 01:13:04 | Speaker 5:

I don't even know what any of that is. What are you talking about?

01:13:04 - 01:13:13 | Speaker 1:

Hannah smells like she had a party, and I'm not going to play dumb here. Like, I don't know. I'm talking to Ganja Girl on the phone here. Were you smoking the Buddha?

01:13:14 - 01:13:22 | Speaker 5:

We worked the overnight. I think she's just tired. I've never seen her act like that. I have a hard time believing that's even Hannah.

01:13:23 - 01:13:28 | Speaker 1:

I have a hard time believing your story. So there's only one more thing to do. I have to notify you that you're terminated.

01:13:30 - 01:13:33 | Speaker 5:

I'm home eating breakfast. Why am I being terminated?

01:13:33 - 01:13:42 | Speaker 1:

Oh, did I say terminated? I'm sorry. I meant to notify you that you're being phone scammed on the Mojo in the Morning Show. oh, this is Spike, and you've just been phone-scammed.

01:13:42 - 01:13:48 | Speaker 5:

Nope. Oh, sorry, I swear. Oh, my God. Are you serious?

01:13:48 - 01:13:51 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Hannah told us to phone-scam you.

01:13:51 - 01:14:01 | Speaker 5:

No, she did not. But then also now I think she's my best friend. Wait, you didn't say where we worked, did you?

01:14:04 - 01:14:14 | Speaker 2:

We will, we will scam you. Mojo in the Morning. Your home of the world's famous phone scams.

01:14:18 - 01:14:24 | Speaker 3:

Oh, it is so good. I'll tell you what it is in a second. But because I had no power for so long, I had to clean out my refrigerator and my freezer. So yesterday I finally made it back home and I had to go grocery, like I had to fill my fridge in my freezer again. So I took Smith with me. We went to Kroger, of course, went to Trader Joe's, my fave. And one of the things that I buy from time to time at Trader Joe's, and I know better because I know exactly what happens, are the chocolate covered peanut butter pretzels. Oh, are they good? They're in like a like a copper colored bag. They are literal heaven in like a little pretzel nugget, okay? And where are they? Did you not bring any in for us? Well, I didn't because I started eating them yesterday afternoon and I knew that I was going down a bad road because half the bag just all of a sudden disappeared. So you guys know I do this. I took the bag and dumped it into my garbage. I did not want to eat anymore. I have no willpower, so I can't even close it and put it in my pantry or a cupboard or hide it. Nope, it doesn't work.

01:18:19 - 01:18:20 | Speaker 1:

Because you know you'll go back and get it.

01:18:20 - 01:18:28 | Speaker 2:

I will go right back and get it. So I thought, if I dump all the little chocolate-covered nuggets of goodness into my garbage, I'm done. I'm good.

01:18:29 - 01:18:35 | Speaker 1:

Which, by the way, you said you had thrown a bunch of garbage out too, right? Yeah, I mean. So there was other crap in there. You have excellent stuff on top.

01:18:35 - 01:19:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah. Well, fast forward to after dinner last night. I wanted those pretzels so bad. So what did I do? I dug into the garbage, and I reached down the sides where I knew they were, and I got a few more and ate them. And my children, Lucy specifically, looked disgusted with me. And she goes, Mommy, it's not even a treat day. We have treat days in our house because my kids have such bad cavities, so we make them pick two days out of the week. We make them pick two days out of the week where they can actually have, like, sugar. Yes, I know we're mean parents, but 27 cavities later, that's our method.

01:19:15 - 01:19:20 | Speaker 1:

You're like my mom and dad. They never gave us treats when we were kids. I feel like every day in my house is a treat day.

01:19:21 - 01:19:21 | Speaker 2:

Well, I mean, you know.

01:19:21 - 01:19:22 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:19:22 - 01:19:26 | Speaker 2:

And, yeah, that was it.

01:19:26 - 01:19:38 | Speaker 1:

That's wild. They are so good. They are so addictive. By the way, you should be doing commercials for these pretzel, chocolate-covered pretzels. Chocolate-covered peanut butter pretzels. They're so good, you ate it out of a garbage can. It's funny.

01:19:38 - 01:19:42 | Speaker 2:

And not in the bag. I mean, I dumped the bag, so the pretzels were in there by themselves.

01:19:42 - 01:19:55 | Speaker 1:

The other night we ordered DoorDash Chinese food, and your meal came with whatever you wanted, and Luke threw away his fried rice that he had.

01:19:56 - 01:19:57 | Speaker 2:

Oh, heaven forbid.

01:19:57 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 1:

You can't throw fried rice away. Fried rice is great.

01:20:00 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 3:

Chicken fried rice?

01:20:00 - 01:20:14 | Speaker 4:

It was chicken fried rice, and it was still in the container. So I, of course, had to go dig deep down into the garbage can because it was heavy. It fell all the way to the bottom. Yep. And I pull my hand out of there. As I pull my hand out of there, there's, like, yogurt on my hand, and there's...

01:20:14 - 01:20:20 | Speaker 5:

Yep, yep. Just be careful it's not maggots. Well, I mean, I probably take the garbage out every day.

01:20:20 - 01:20:21 | Speaker 3:

What kind of house do you think we live in? It was fresh garbage.

01:20:22 - 01:20:40 | Speaker 4:

How dare you thinking that our homes are that dirty, that we have maggots? We eat all of our food. That's why we don't have maggots, Shannon, right? You eat out of a garbage can. You don't get maggots. Well, by the way, what was the stuff you had to throw away? That was the grossest thing because when you clean out your refrigerator after a power out, it's like that cheese and all that stuff.

01:20:40 - 01:21:01 | Speaker 3:

No, you know what it was? So Charlie, my toy poodle is 13 years old. And so I have to feed him canned, fresh dog food, like the wet dog food. And so I had a can open and I put like cling wrap, like sticky wrap on top of it. but it still smelled so bad when I opened that fridge.

01:21:01 - 01:21:03 | Speaker 4:

You ate the pretzels?

01:21:04 - 01:21:14 | Speaker 3:

Well, I mean, I had thrown away like two other garbage bags before even the one that the coveted pretzels were in. Oh, so the dog, okay. But there were still all sorts of other things in there. Yes.

01:21:14 - 01:21:23 | Speaker 4:

If Charlie's smelly dog food was on this, would you clean off the pretzel and then eat it? Or would you just say, no, I'm done, I can't do it?

01:21:24 - 01:21:27 | Speaker 3:

I might say I'm done, but I'm not positive about that answer.

01:21:27 - 01:21:28 | Speaker 4:

Because I'm telling you.

01:21:28 - 01:21:33 | Speaker 6:

Well, you just take the pretzel in the other room until the dissipated smell of the dog food.

01:21:33 - 01:21:33 | Speaker 4:

Heather?

01:21:36 - 01:21:44 | Speaker 1:

My New Year's resolution was to stop eating cookies, so I threw everything away. I didn't even make it until 1 a.m., and I was eating cookies out of the trash.

01:21:46 - 01:21:55 | Speaker 5:

I'm about to do that with all the snacks in our office, because I keep eating those chocolates. And the chips. Have a bag of Doritos. I know the chips. All the Slim Jims are gone.

01:21:55 - 01:22:00 | Speaker 4:

Why don't you put them on the sales table? The salespeople will eat all those.

01:22:00 - 01:22:01 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that's a good idea.

01:22:02 - 01:22:04 | Speaker 6:

She's not that committed to getting rid of it.

01:22:04 - 01:22:05 | Speaker 5:

It's going to be me going back there.

01:22:05 - 01:22:12 | Speaker 4:

Heather, did you ever think that you were going to be the person that would be doing that? What's next? Dumpster diving for you?

01:22:14 - 01:22:16 | Speaker 1:

Maybe. I'll be like that phone scam at Dairy Queen.

01:22:16 - 01:22:20 | Speaker 4:

That's right. Exactly. You remember that. That's cool. Thank you for the call.

01:22:22 - 01:22:22 | Speaker 1:

Thank you.

01:22:22 - 01:22:55 | Speaker 4:

take care of yourself um by the way another trader joe's special you ever tried the trader joe's gluten-free chocolate chip cookies that they look like there's a brand called like mrs somethings or whatever like they're really not they're really good they make things gluten-free cookies they're very buttery i have a feeling that these cookies each cookie has a stick of butter in it like not just a little bit of butter a full stick of butter worth it oh it's so good and And yes, in case you listen to the podcast, we did have to go around the entire freaking

01:22:55 - 01:22:59 | Speaker 3:

store to find Sammy Sloth, but Smith got his stuff. Oh, he got it then.

01:23:00 - 01:23:02 | Speaker 4:

That's one of my favorite podcasts.

01:23:02 - 01:23:06 | Speaker 3:

He's a cross from the yogurt. If you go to the Maple and Telegraph one, I'll save you all the trouble.

01:23:07 - 01:23:08 | Speaker 6:

Wow. Spoiler alert.

01:23:10 - 01:23:41 | Speaker 4:

You're not one of the Trader Joe, like, people that judge people, though, are you? What do you mean? Well, there's some people, like, I don't go to Trader Joe's, all right? So Chelsea, every now and again, we'll stop in there or friends of mine about them. I don't I refuse to go into Trader Joe's. The reason why I feel like the people there I've gone in one time in my life, I feel like I was judged because I didn't know the store. I feel like I feel like the people at Trader Joe's are judgy people. Yes. Not the people that work there. I'm talking about the people that shop there.

01:23:42 - 01:23:57 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. In the More Mojo podcast last week, we were talking about how super pleasant and awesome the people that check you out at the register are but how rude the customers are because it's a small, tight store and people act like you've got to know exactly where you're going and why you're blocking this.

01:23:57 - 01:24:00 | Speaker 4:

How dare you be looking for something?

01:24:00 - 01:24:07 | Speaker 3:

I would not consider myself one of the judgy people. I'm probably one of the people getting judged because I had a five-year-old with his own shopping cart. Kids love those.

01:24:08 - 01:24:09 | Speaker 5:

I feel like you would get judged every year.

01:24:09 - 01:24:11 | Speaker 3:

I'm sure people hated me.

01:24:11 - 01:24:16 | Speaker 1:

Trader Joe's is the only grocery store where I'm truly worried for my ankles the entire time. And you should be.

01:24:17 - 01:24:26 | Speaker 4:

What's up? How you doing, Josh? Josh? Are you currently in a garbage can, Josh?

01:24:28 - 01:24:30 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my name's Scott.

01:24:30 - 01:24:37 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I apologize. I'm sorry. He's like, why are they talking? Go ahead, Scott. I apologize.

01:24:38 - 01:25:26 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no, you're good. Yeah, I was at work, and I'm a manager at a bar, and i was eating and then so i had i forgot like my carrier tray for my invisalign and so i just kind of set it down on a napkin and i honestly don't know if i threw it away or one of my employees threw it away so i look over at the guy next to me i'm like where's my Invisalign tray? And he's like, what are you talking about? I'm like, oh, my God. So this whole huge trash can, which just has, like, you know, we threw away, like, meat, nacho cheese, chili, all this stuff. And I had to literally pull it out and dig through the whole thing to find it. And I didn't find it until I got all the way to the bottom, and it was covered in, like, cheese, chili, all this stuff. Oh, man. And those are expensive.

01:25:26 - 01:25:27 | Speaker 5:

You're not getting new ones.

01:25:27 - 01:25:29 | Speaker 2:

You're washing them and putting them back in.

01:25:30 - 01:25:32 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, what did you do? Did you put it in any disinfectant or something?

01:25:33 - 01:25:45 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so I, like, sprayed it off and let it soak and disinfect it. I just cried inside. I was like, well, I'm just going to suck it up and hope I don't get, like, the food part. Yeah.

01:25:45 - 01:25:56 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. That's gross. I will tell you, though, Josh, don't feel bad. You did that for your retainer thing, but Shannon did it just for pretzels.

01:25:56 - 01:26:00 | Speaker 1:

But they're so good. They're so good. Once you have them, you'll understand.

01:26:00 - 01:26:16 | Speaker 4:

He'll go inside. I have done that numerous times where I have been dieting and I'm like, all right, I got to stop. I'm going to eat this stuff. And then I throw like the dirtiest, crappiest stuff on top just to try to keep myself from going inside there.

01:26:16 - 01:26:22 | Speaker 1:

A texter said you should pour a little or spray a little bit of cleaner on the garbage and then you definitely won't eat it.

01:26:22 - 01:27:52 | Speaker 4:

You won't be like bleachy smelling and tasting. But then you do that, and then you're really risking it if you've had cocktails that night. Because when I'm drinking, like, the other night I said to myself I couldn't sleep really well on Saturday night. So Monday night I decided, all right, I'm just going to have, like, a little bit of bourbon. Drank a little bit of bourbon. All I wanted to do was order the entire DoorDash McDonald's menu. Like, I just sat there. I'm like, oh, it gets me every time. So quick question for you guys. Do you know someone that you work with that will post on their social media how hard they work? Like they'll post pictures of themselves or videos of themselves like leaving the office at a late time or post videos or pictures of themselves coming into work extra early and they'll post it and talk about how hard they're working? we have somebody that does this and occasionally they'll post this in the other day they did and when they did i actually felt like this is bull crap because they showed themselves walking into the studio to an empty dark studio that i know for a fact that they didn't walk in and be the first person here because i was the first person that was here that day that person is spike and And I would like to know.

01:27:52 - 01:27:59 | Speaker 3:

I got your message yesterday and I was laughing going, oh, my God. Did this really trigger him, this TikTok video?

01:27:59 - 01:28:14 | Speaker 4:

Oh, it didn't trigger me. But I think it's funny because you do do that where you'll post, oh, really bad, really long day leaving the office at 5 o'clock as you're walking out into the parking lot. The empty parking lot, which, by the way, is always empty here. There's a few people that do that, too.

01:28:14 - 01:28:14 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:28:16 - 01:28:20 | Speaker 4:

That others that work in your building, Mike, or in our building?

01:28:20 - 01:28:22 | Speaker 5:

In the business itself.

01:28:22 - 01:28:22 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:28:22 - 01:28:26 | Speaker 5:

I don't know if it's to show that, like, hey, look it, I'm working for a long time.

01:28:27 - 01:28:34 | Speaker 4:

I want to know, what is the psychology of people who post how hard they work? Do they just need, like, an attaboy every now and again?

01:28:34 - 01:28:40 | Speaker 3:

I didn't post how hard I worked. I did the opposite. I was making fun of myself. Posts I fell asleep within five minutes of being here.

01:28:41 - 01:28:56 | Speaker 4:

So here's the thing that I want to do. I want to say that Spike does work a lot. He works very, very hard. He's here very late. He gets here, you know, now actually earlier than he has in the many, many years, like he gets here.

01:28:56 - 01:29:02 | Speaker 3:

The whole More Mojo podcast yesterday was you talking about how hard we all work and no one understands our long hours.

01:29:02 - 01:29:27 | Speaker 4:

I get you, but I feel like we need to give you a little bit of love because I don't know how you're going to do it if you don't get love off of the, you know, posting it on social media. So I'm going to open up the phone lines right now to ask our listeners, who is the person in your office that always tells you how hard they work? and I want you to call them out right now to give them recognition for how hard they work. This is the funniest thing. So I'm going to, hold on. Let me see if I can find the, it's on your TikTok here.

01:29:28 - 01:29:35 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Hold up. Are we getting recognition for it? Then I would like to say this. Hi. Hi, Mike. Yeah. I do a lot on this station. You do a lot? Okay. Yes.

01:29:36 - 01:29:36 | Speaker 3:

All right, hold on a second.

01:29:36 - 01:29:38 | Speaker 1:

Mike, you actually do everything. Now, background.

01:29:39 - 01:30:00 | Speaker 3:

Actually, let me give you background on this TikTok because, you know, our boss is on us to constantly create, and I have to do a TikTok every week. so while mojo was resting on a beach on vacation we were going through an ice storm bullcrap and so i got here i set my alarm an hour earlier than usual to get here because i was running the show

01:30:00 - 01:30:35 | Speaker 2:

that so this wait this was wait you're interrupting my explanation okay go ahead so i set my alarm an hour earlier because of this ice storm they were warning us about well i got up that morning i got to work in 10 minutes the roads were just wet it was interesting it was the next day so i was here at 4 45 with my thumb up my ass going now what do i do no one's actually you were here at 5 because it said 5 a.m time stamp yeah i was here at 4 45 and nobody else was here for 45 minutes so i was like okay what can i catch up on here and i'm like you know what so you didn't take this on monday no i told you yesterday i taped this on third how could i have taped it on monday because you were

01:30:35 - 01:30:40 | Speaker 4:

wearing the hot mom sweatshirt did you wear that two weeks or two days in a row no i've because

01:30:40 - 01:30:55 | Speaker 2:

you had your hot mom first of all i taped the ending later when i was trying to think of when it was my day to do tiktok how am i going to wrap this up but so this is thursday when i was here 4 45 there's an elevator but i always take the stairs because it's the only exercise i'm going

01:30:55 - 01:31:03 | Speaker 4:

make it all day 5 a.m good morning taylor walking in all right it is the most important part of

01:31:03 - 01:31:26 | Speaker 2:

broadcast equipment in the radio station the coffee machine this is the morning show office by the way nothing ever happens in here except we sleep on the couch once in a while i think the best part about my job every morning is that when we walk in this door we never know what's going to happen for the next six hours all right there you go and then you cut off the end but the end is me sleeping there's me falling asleep there's no what point did i brag and say i work hard and

01:31:26 - 01:31:44 | Speaker 4:

i need to and need recognition i'm just i'm just giving you the recognition that you do you get you work very very hard okay how you doing zane how you doing good morning what's going on zane who is it in your office that is the spike of your office well i don't work in an office i'm

01:31:44 - 01:31:53 | Speaker 6:

an electrician but um on the job site my buddy toby he's always the one saying how hard he works and he can never get over it.

01:31:53 - 01:31:54 | Speaker 4:

Really? Like, what does he do?

01:31:56 - 01:32:11 | Speaker 6:

Well, he'll be standing on his phone sometimes, and then he'll, like, go and work hard for a little bit and then go back on his phone. And the only time that he talks about how hard he's working is when he's not working.

01:32:12 - 01:32:16 | Speaker 4:

So, quick question. Does he work any more than you work?

01:32:18 - 01:32:19 | Speaker 6:

Nope, not at all.

01:32:19 - 01:32:29 | Speaker 4:

But he tells everybody he does. So what is he doing by doing that? Is he basically saying that you need to work a little bit more? Or who is he trying to prove it to?

01:32:30 - 01:32:32 | Speaker 6:

I don't know. I think he's just trying to prove it to the whole crew.

01:32:33 - 01:32:40 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. You know, listen, I will say this to you. I think everybody works very, very hard, but I don't necessarily think that you have to go and tell everybody.

01:32:40 - 01:32:45 | Speaker 2:

Only one person was triggered in this room that you weren't in the video because you were here first.

01:32:45 - 01:32:46 | Speaker 4:

What's going on, Kenny?

01:32:47 - 01:32:48 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, twice in one day.

01:32:48 - 01:32:54 | Speaker 4:

Let's go. Yes. Kenny, Trucker Kenny, is that you again? Yes, sir.

01:32:54 - 01:33:02 | Speaker 5:

Wow, you're working harder than all of us on our show. I got you on my Bluetooth, and I just got in from making my delivery, and I was like, oh, I got to text in for this one.

01:33:03 - 01:33:08 | Speaker 4:

Kenny wants to talk. You want to call out somebody that you say likes to tell everybody that they work hard?

01:33:09 - 01:33:29 | Speaker 5:

Oh, absolutely. So as a truck driver, and I'm sure all my fellow truckers will agree, it's always the dispatch that seems to do the most work. Not the guys out here driving and delivering. It's all in the night. The people telling you where to go. Yeah, they work the absolute hardest. I love it.

01:33:30 - 01:33:35 | Speaker 4:

And they're in a nice, warm, comfortable building while you are on the road having to deal with all the crazies out there, right?

01:33:36 - 01:33:41 | Speaker 5:

Oh, man, I got my bibs on, my insulated snow boots, my insulated hoodie, and I'm still freezing.

01:33:42 - 01:33:45 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, no, it's funny. What's going on, Julie? How you doing?

01:33:45 - 01:33:46 | Speaker 3:

Good, how are you?

01:33:46 - 01:33:50 | Speaker 4:

Fantastic, Julie. Who would you like to tell everybody that they work hard?

01:33:51 - 01:34:10 | Speaker 3:

This would be my head medical assistant. I work at a doctor's office. She is constantly running around like a chicken with her head cut off. The doctor always runs for her, yells for her, and other MAs. And the poor thing's husband just passed away, and she's still working her butt off.

01:34:11 - 01:34:25 | Speaker 4:

So you're calling legitimately about her that she's working hard. Yeah, we're tongue-in-cheeking it. We're tongue-in-cheeking it. Do you have any people in your office? That's so sweet. Do you have any people in your office that say they work hard, but they... Yes.

01:34:25 - 01:34:30 | Speaker 3:

The rest of the medical system, yes, but they don't. It's her. Yeah.

01:34:31 - 01:34:38 | Speaker 2:

There you go. There's always somebody that wants credit that'll message you while you're at the gym and say, what time of day did you tape this? I was in studio.

01:34:38 - 01:34:41 | Speaker 1:

I love this texter. I can't call in, but I want to recognize myself.

01:34:42 - 01:34:49 | Speaker 4:

That was you. Wait, no. I'm sorry. Was that a humble brag, though, that you were also at the gym? Was that when you said that? What was the text, Jenna?

01:34:49 - 01:34:55 | Speaker 1:

It says, can't call in, but I want to recognize myself for doing the least. Why strive when you can just drive by? Amen, right?

01:34:57 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 2:

I like that. Is that the person that told us yesterday?

01:35:00 - 01:35:04 | Speaker 4:

What was it, Bare Minimum Monday? They're just going to go in and cruise.

01:35:04 - 01:35:22 | Speaker 3:

That's it. Bare Minimum Monday. You've got to pull that off. I would like to say out of everybody that works here at the station, KP, you work the hardest. Because yesterday I called you at, what was it, 6 o'clock at night? And you were still at the radio station. What are you doing here at 6 o'clock at night?

01:35:22 - 01:35:23 | Speaker 2:

It wasn't 6 o'clock at night.

01:35:23 - 01:35:24 | Speaker 3:

What time was it?

01:35:24 - 01:35:49 | Speaker 2:

I'm pretty sure it was like 2.30. No, it wasn't. Oh, you're going to. it was why did you not make a tick tock about uh well actually i want to point out that i have made a tick tock extensively showing how much work i do um so i'm surprised you didn't call me out for that that was definitely more bragging than spice yeah um but what i was doing i was just chilling i was doing my other show and all my other stuff because i'd rather get it done

01:35:49 - 01:36:32 | Speaker 3:

at the end of the day than the beginning i think that uh i think that there is a time when you have to go home and i told you yesterday i'm like i told kp i'm like you got to go like first off the sun was out yesterday which is very rare that the sun is ever out in the winter time and if you don't experience the sun it just gets to you so you got to get some get a little bit of sun in your life uh kind of yes actually actually kp i told her that she has to get to bed at a decent hour because she is still not like used to the waking up and being you know here so early type thing with the morning show and last night you had something happen to you while you were dead

01:36:32 - 01:37:23 | Speaker 2:

asleep at what time at night 11 30 and i had already gotten to bed like i i've been struggling to fall asleep at a decent hour and i last night i did because i did not take a nap i listened to what you told me and i didn't nap during the day and i got a phone call and it scared the crap out of me because i don't get phone calls when i'm asleep unless it's an emergency like people the only person who can get through my do not disturb is mojo or tony our pv and lydia i have lydia sets she can get through to me um and my mom sorry i'm just going on a tangent um here's my list of favorites no um but this call i forgot to turn on do not disturb and i regret it because i got a call from somebody, and when I picked up my phone and saw that it was a sales associate from iHeartRadio calling me at 11.30 at night, I was like, oh, someone's about to get their

01:37:23 - 01:37:26 | Speaker 3:

tail with. Was it a butt dial or a misdial?

01:37:26 - 01:37:34 | Speaker 2:

No, I thought it was a butt dial until I realized that they had left a message, and it was, should I call them?

01:37:34 - 01:37:39 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Somebody from our job, they should know not to call at 11.30 at night unless it's an emergency.

01:37:39 - 01:37:43 | Speaker 2:

All right. Hey, Hassan, if you're listening, I got your message.

01:37:44 - 01:37:47 | Speaker 1:

What the heck was he calling you at 11.30 p.m. for on a school night?

01:37:47 - 01:38:54 | Speaker 2:

I'm sure everyone is aware of my difficulty with cars. I also have a memory issue where I leave my headphones in the car. And this happened to me over Christmas. I left my headphones in the car at a dealership, and they ended up getting stolen from me. So my mom bought me a new pair. They're lovely. Wear them to the gym every day. I, like an idiot, left them in the rental car. and turned in my car. So they were in the glove box. And that day I texted the company and said, Hey, I'm going to turn around and come back and get my headphones because I left them in the car. And they're like nice headphones. They're like $300 Beats headphones that my mom got me. And I'm really upset that I left them in there again. And I didn't hear back from them for a week. And this mess fit, this voicemail was actually not Hassan. It was someone else from the rental company calling me to say that they had sold my headphones on ebay and that i would need to file a claim to quote unquote make something work wait but so they pranked they called you at 11 30 at night i think it was a prank you i totally think that this was a prank but what has his

01:38:54 - 01:38:58 | Speaker 4:

numbers so so has was hanging with his buddy yeah he works there oh that's what i would assume

01:38:58 - 01:39:10 | Speaker 2:

because it was so late like and because this this guy at the rental company has my phone number so So if it was, you know, a serious thing, one, he'd call during normal business hours. And two, he would call me with his own number.

01:39:10 - 01:39:16 | Speaker 3:

Right. Wait, wait, wait, wait. So they called you at 1130 at night to do this.

01:39:16 - 01:39:16 | Speaker 2:

Yep.

01:39:17 - 01:39:33 | Speaker 3:

And it was from Hassan, our sales extraordinaire guy. Do you think that they were really calling to prank you? Or do you think that it was Hassan and his buddies hanging out and they were like, because that to me, that to me seems like a,

01:39:33 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 2:

a flirty call i think that it was a prank because you think it was a prank friend of hassan at the rental company said that he wanted to prank hassan hassan told me that he he did a huge favor for me my car broke down and they gave me a rental car for free for a week and i i'm so so thankful to them um but the the rep that i got the car from was like you need to prank hassan and tell him that you paid so much money for this rental and it wasn't actually

01:40:00 - 01:40:15 | Speaker 3:

a favor and i was like oh that's too mean that is so mean i ended up doing it in an email and he believed me for a second and then um it ended up like kind of flopping not gonna lie but um so i think that he was pranking me knowing that he had asked me to prank his son hold on a second it does

01:40:15 - 01:40:31 | Speaker 6:

sound kind of flirty it sounds a little weird there's some actually now that you say that there's a some shenanigans going on here what's up big boy hassan what's good what was up with a call to KP at 11 30 p.m. last night oh listen

01:40:31 - 01:40:39 | Speaker 7:

she put an SOS out for her beats so I was with Mark and Mark wanted to give her her beats back

01:40:39 - 01:40:47 | Speaker 6:

Hassan was that a flirty call was he trying to flirt with her or something you guys were out partying or something

01:40:47 - 01:40:50 | Speaker 7:

no I was at his office actually

01:40:50 - 01:40:53 | Speaker 6:

at 11 30 at night there's business at 11 30 at night

01:40:53 - 01:40:57 | Speaker 7:

business is open 24 hours It doesn't stop.

01:40:57 - 01:41:43 | Speaker 5:

It doesn't stop. Oh, man. You got to hustle like Haas, I always say. Yeah. Hassan has done this to me as well. I remember after our Jingle Ball concert, we didn't get off stage. The concert wasn't done until almost midnight. By the time I got home, it was like 1230 in the morning. We had to go. We had to broadcast the next morning. So we were all coming in on like three hours sleep. So I had just gotten home, fallen asleep. It was almost 1 a.m. I thought maybe I can get two or three hours sleep before the morning show. My phone rings and it's Haas Haas Who had a few cocktails at the Jingle Ball Like all of us But he's with two obviously very cute girls Who wanted to talk to Spike And Haas Haas called to oblige these listeners And call me and wake me out of a slumber

01:41:43 - 01:41:44 | Speaker 6:

Haas

01:41:44 - 01:41:46 | Speaker 7:

This is a true story

01:41:46 - 01:41:50 | Speaker 5:

Haas parties hard And he works hard

01:41:50 - 01:41:56 | Speaker 6:

So question for you though Who's the one that wants to flirt with KP? Is it Mark or is it you, Haas?

01:41:56 - 01:42:01 | Speaker 7:

I'm putting it on Mark. Listen, I'm not flirting with KP. KP's my coworker. I love her to death.

01:42:02 - 01:42:06 | Speaker 6:

Oh, and you've never had relationships with any coworkers around here, right?

01:42:06 - 01:42:08 | Speaker 7:

Oh, no. Oh, here we go.

01:42:09 - 01:42:12 | Speaker 6:

All right, young man.

01:42:13 - 01:42:22 | Speaker 3:

Haas, you need to get those headphones back to me ASAP. I need those. During business hours? If they're on eBay, you need to buy them off eBay and get them to me.

01:42:22 - 01:42:24 | Speaker 6:

What's the company called, Mark's company?

01:42:25 - 01:42:26 | Speaker 3:

American Rent-A-Car.

01:42:27 - 01:42:28 | Speaker 6:

American Rent-A-Car.

01:42:28 - 01:42:31 | Speaker 3:

Shout out to you guys for really saving my life.

01:42:31 - 01:42:40 | Speaker 6:

Mark, if she doesn't get her headphones back, we're coming after you, Mark, at 1130 tonight. Take care of yourself, Haas. What's up, Karen? How you doing?

01:42:40 - 01:42:43 | Speaker 2:

Well, I'm doing good. This is Karen with an I. How are you?

01:42:43 - 01:42:46 | Speaker 6:

What's up, Karen with an I? I'm glad you clarified.

01:42:47 - 01:42:52 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Well, I used to be hub lady, and you guys said not to introduce myself that way. So I'm tearing with an I.

01:42:53 - 01:42:55 | Speaker 4:

Okay. All right.

01:42:55 - 01:43:03 | Speaker 2:

There's no E in there. Okay, KP, I had just texted in and said that this was your payback for doing this to Mojo when you first started. Oh, my gosh.

01:43:03 - 01:43:14 | Speaker 3:

You remembered that. That was my karma. And I thought that immediately after the call. I'm like, yep, this is what it feels like. Mojo really, really should have gone harder on me.

01:43:14 - 01:43:17 | Speaker 6:

She called and woke my ass up from a dead sleep.

01:43:18 - 01:43:37 | Speaker 5:

I only started using Do Not Disturb in the last few months because of KP. No. Honestly, KP, you are the late texter. And I'm always like, oh, my gosh, what happened? There must be something wrong. And I have two college-age daughters that I'm always worried about. And every time I look at the phone at 11 o'clock at night, the text is like, KP.

01:43:38 - 01:43:39 | Speaker 3:

On the weekend, guys.

01:43:39 - 01:43:39 | Speaker 5:

No.

01:43:41 - 01:43:44 | Speaker 3:

What is great to you guys? 8 p.m.?

01:43:44 - 01:43:57 | Speaker 6:

By the way, we're all sending her a text message tonight. Can we schedule a text message? Shannon, with what's trending right now, the dirty on the 30.

01:43:57 - 01:44:31 | Speaker 1:

This could be a big, big story, and I think it's about to be that. According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, the NFL and NFL Films allegedly, I have to say that, Has an archive of fan and cheerleader footage that is categorized as cheerleader butts, cheerleader rear ends, female fan in bikini top, naughty camera work, close up of cheerleaders breasts, cleavage shot, shot of endowed women, random woman, cleavage shot, and so on and so forth.

01:44:31 - 01:44:35 | Speaker 6:

They actually took the video of it or the footage of it and then put this label.

01:44:35 - 01:44:41 | Speaker 1:

They keep it and label it as these things. And this is just an example, okay?

01:44:41 - 01:44:42 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:44:42 - 01:44:43 | Speaker 1:

It's an archive. They keep an archive.

01:44:43 - 01:44:54 | Speaker 6:

And I understand why you archive certain things because during a game or during a moment, you're going to want to go back to the video. But why would you archive butts, breasts, and things like that?

01:44:54 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 1:

There was even an accompanying chat room log tracking timestamps on NFL footage.

01:45:00 - 01:46:32 | Speaker 2:

linking the timestamps to sexualized and offensive descriptions of women captured on that footage. The allegations, part of a discrimination lawsuit by a former NFL employee by the name of Victoria Russell. Victoria Russell worked in human resources for the NFL for four years up until 2022. So recently, she was abruptly fired after complaining to the league's chief diversity officer. She is a black woman, by the way, important part of the story. said she was denied a workspace as well as being denied raises, promotions, and job openings that white and male employee got. Now, an NFL spokesperson commenting on this and said the footage is labeled as sensitive but not with derogatory words like I just mentioned to prevent it from being used in future videos. So the lead is refuting all allegations in this lawsuit. Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, I'm told, are doing daily therapy to try and save their relationship. The couple kind of, you know, something happened over Super Bowl weekend. We still haven't figured out what. But they are, I'm told, talking to a couple's therapist every day via Zoom. A good source of mine says every day, every single day. And Megan has just said, you know, we we need to give therapy a good shot, a true shot before making any permanent decisions to end our engagement. And so that's that's what they're doing. I know they're also, you know, going to therapist offices because they've been spotted by the paparazzi. Unfortunately, that's such a private thing.

01:46:32 - 01:46:41 | Speaker 1:

But I'm going to tell you, I think therapy is wonderful. But I think you do everyday therapy. That's going to need you to be in therapy for everyday therapy.

01:46:41 - 01:46:46 | Speaker 2:

I mean, for a while there, I was, like, two to three times a week, and it was a lot.

01:46:46 - 01:46:46 | Speaker 1:

Jeez.

01:46:47 - 01:47:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Salesforce reportedly struck a deal with Matthew McConaughey. He gets paid $10 million a year to serve as their creative advisor and TV pitchman. You might remember he starred in their Super Bowl ad last year. He was wearing an astronaut suit. That was for Salesforce. Anyway, the company is getting criticized because they just laid off 8,000 employees. But now word's going around that they're paying Matthew McConaughey $10 million to be their creative advisor and TV endorser.

01:47:20 - 01:47:45 | Speaker 1:

There was another company that did like a Super Bowl commercial this year, that same situation where the company just did like a huge layoff of hundreds of people or thousands of people probably. I don't know. But they pay millions of dollars for a commercial. And a lot of that I think their excuse That they used was Well we gotta be able To market the company To try to get back To be able to pay The remaining people

01:47:45 - 01:49:12 | Speaker 2:

Sure yeah Ed Sheeran is back With the big announcements A new album Called Subtract He made that announcement This morning Said the music Gonna cover a difficult period That spurred him To musically reflect On his deepest Darkest thoughts He writes I've been working On Subtract For a decade Trying to sculpt The perfect acoustic album Writing and recording Hundreds of songs with a clear vision of what I thought it should be. And he writes, then at the start of 2022, a series of events changed my life, my mental health, and ultimately the way that I viewed music and art. So he said he was working on this album for a decade, but one week. He really did all the songs on this album in one week. He said writing songs is his therapy. It helps him make sense of his feelings. Subtract arrives on May 5th. And by the way, while we're talking about Ed Sheeran, I want to mention this. Singer-songwriter Ben Queller, who I know recently opened for Ed on tour, just announced the death of his 16-year-old son, Dorian, died in a car crash, which is just so heart-renting. Oh, man. Yeah. And lastly, for the first time in decades, a Chicago-elected incumbent mayor has failed to win a re-election bid. When the city went to the polls yesterday, Lori Lightfoot did not get enough votes to make the runoff election, meaning she's going to be a one-term mayor. Yesterday's outcome makes Lori Lightfoot the first mayor of Chicago to lose a re-election bid in 40 years.

01:49:12 - 01:49:39 | Speaker 1:

And by the way, she just came out this morning with saying that she blames the loss on racism and gender. Those are the two reasons why that she lost the election. And the people that she lost the election to, because there was not a clear, definitive person, now they have to do a runoff of those two. The one person that's there was the head of the school board. So ran the Chicago Public School Board. So it's interesting.

01:49:40 - 01:49:50 | Speaker 2:

01:50:03 - 01:50:13 | Speaker 3:

You are from Holland, and we are setting you up with tickets, so you've got to do a little bit of a drive, and you've got to come to Ypsilanti, to Eastern Michigan University, to see the Kid Leroy.

01:50:15 - 01:50:16 | Speaker 4:

Hi, I'm good.

01:50:16 - 01:50:20 | Speaker 3:

Thanks for listening to us. Are you on your way to work or school right now?

01:50:21 - 01:50:23 | Speaker 2:

I'm dropping my daughter off at preschool.

01:50:23 - 01:50:31 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's awesome. Thank you for listening, and we'll give you a chance to give us your information and then get your daughter in school, okay?

01:50:31 - 01:50:32 | Speaker 4:

All right, great.

01:50:32 - 01:51:00 | Speaker 3:

Don't go anywhere. We have a lot of truckers that listen to the show. Obviously, we talked to Kenny twice this morning, but we got, it seems like, a bunch of guys and ladies that drive truck. Coming up here in a second, Mike's calling you guys out for something. Mike and his trucker battle happening in moments on the Mojo in the Morning Show. Actually, it's not really a battle. I think Mike's got a very good point to make here. Mark this down, Mike.

01:51:00 - 01:51:03 | Speaker 4:

I just said Mike has a very good mark. That's why nobody said anything.

01:51:03 - 01:51:04 | Speaker 1:

You can save that for me.

01:51:04 - 01:51:05 | Speaker 3:

We'll be right back.

01:51:06 - 01:51:20 | Speaker 1:

More Mojo in minutes. Cheating test. Grab your man's phone and run to the bathroom with it. If he kicks down the door, you have your answer. Another world-famous War of the Roses happens tomorrow morning at 7 and 9 on Mojo in the Morning.

01:51:25 - 01:52:24 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning Show. I thought I was almost going to get killed walking out of my garage this morning. You have icicles that are hanging from the top of the garage from all the ice that we've had. And as they kind of slowly melt off, you've got to hope that you're not underneath one of them at that particular time. Scares the crap out of you. have you even looked this in downtown uh major cities like detroit they actually will tell you and close off some of the sidewalks because of some of the icicles that hang off of the buildings we don't remember that our house our homes have them probably that are damning off of there yeah and then they come down it's like crack you know and you hear them you know kind of melt in there but this weather is going to bring some of them because we got 50 degree weather another thing you got to be careful of mike wants to call out some truckers what's the uh what's the almost

01:52:24 - 01:53:28 | Speaker 4:

accident that happened to you mike oh this is you know what this is wild and i don't know if if truckers are able maybe they can answer this able to clean off the the snow and ice from the trail the trailer of their trucks i don't know if that's possible i don't know what the process is there or if it's like everybody else's car where they just drive until it flies off but with these ice storms the last couple days uh trucks right now are the the trailers have these giant sheets of ice so when they start splitting what's flying off is a giant sheet of ice that's like super thick and so i'm driving uh down 96 and one of these things fly off and i try to swerve but they fly through the air and they're like a kite they just glide through the air and you try to swerve around them and that's even more dangerous and this thing smashes into my windshield and i swear it was going to break like i was i was like this is this is going to either dent my car or break and then what do i do i mean i just call it into insurance or like i can't do anything about it i just got to fix it at that point but it could cause a big accident and like i i don't know i can't imagine

01:53:28 - 01:53:43 | Speaker 3:

that's got to be a hell of a of a job to get up on top of that thing and try to clean it off but i wonder because if you don't clean off the top of your car can you get a ticket for that like if you're in a regular car reckless driving if you don't like i'll be honest with you i don't

01:53:43 - 01:53:56 | Speaker 5:

know that i clean off the top of my car all the time i don't either like i do my windshield and my hood but i can i don't i could only reach not an excuse there is a snow law that's illegal for

01:53:56 - 01:54:17 | Speaker 2:

snow ice or slush to fall into the roadway that would impair a motorist and that's you know that stands for all michigan drivers but it's whether or not it's going to be addressed or someone's going to pull you over is another story i mean i always hate when you see those people driving with the whole car covered, and they just scrape one little window to look through. That's me. You can't see your mirrors or behind you.

01:54:18 - 01:54:19 | Speaker 1:

Mike, sounds like you need a dash cam.

01:54:20 - 01:54:30 | Speaker 4:

I know, right? Right? Because there's a difference between, like, snow flying off a car and then big chunks of ice. That's going to break something eventually.

01:54:30 - 01:54:32 | Speaker 3:

Marky, hi. You're a trucker?

01:54:33 - 01:54:33 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:54:34 - 01:54:34 | Speaker 3:

What's happening?

01:54:37 - 01:54:37 | Speaker 4:

Driving.

01:54:38 - 01:54:41 | Speaker 3:

Trucker Marky on the phone with us this morning.

01:54:41 - 01:54:49 | Speaker 2:

And obviously it's a responsibility of yours to be having a safe operating truck. Does that include snow removal or do you not have to worry about that?

01:54:50 - 01:55:12 | Speaker 4:

So in our yard, we do have, it's just called a snow scraper, and you like drive underneath it. Somebody has to lower it down, and it scrapes the top of your trailer off. But, like, if it were to snow while you were, like, at a truck stop or something, you don't really have those everywhere.

01:55:12 - 01:55:21 | Speaker 1:

I want one of those devices for my car. That would be so nice. Like, KP, you said you drove through a car wash just to get rid of the stuff off your car.

01:55:21 - 01:55:27 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, when I almost got in the death trap car wash. That was the time I was being responsible, trying to get all the ice off, and it still didn't come out.

01:55:27 - 01:55:32 | Speaker 1:

Wouldn't it be great to have a scraper? Oh, actually, I do have a scraper. It's called a teenage son.

01:55:33 - 01:55:39 | Speaker 3:

Go outside and clean off the top of my car. Yeah, because I'm not tall enough to reach the middle of my SUV. It's tall.

01:55:40 - 01:55:46 | Speaker 1:

Pat is an attorney. Uh-oh. Who are you, Pat? Are you one of those TV attorneys that we see all the time?

01:55:47 - 01:56:08 | Speaker 2:

No, I do criminal defense. But nevertheless, I did want to let you guys know in certain municipalities in Michigan, And it is, in fact, illegal to have snow coming off your car. And I have actually seen state police pull people over on I-75 for doing so.

01:56:08 - 01:56:21 | Speaker 3:

I wonder what the ticket is for that, just out of curiosity. Yeah, well, because when you get to the speed, the snow all catches, and the wind, and it flies off. And if you're behind it, it's like hitting a flock of geese. I mean, you could shatter a windshield with that ice and snow.

01:56:22 - 01:56:23 | Speaker 2:

You theoretically could kill someone.

01:56:23 - 01:56:41 | Speaker 1:

Okay, I have a hypothetical just for that reason. I want to know, Pat, Mr. Attorney, if it comes off of your car, the person swerves and ends up, like, you know, killing themselves, are you guilty of manslaughter?

01:56:41 - 01:57:12 | Speaker 2:

the uh the driver who was driving the vehicle that had the snow come off their car that caused the person behind them to then swerve and cause the next person over um to uh to essentially die in an auto accident yeah the if there was footage of the driver who caused the accident with the snow coming off their vehicle it could be held three thousand percent would it so it would be No different than texting and driving.

01:57:12 - 01:57:19 | Speaker 1:

Wow. That's amazing. So that's, you know, reason to clean off the roof of your car, Shannon.

01:57:19 - 01:57:19 | Speaker 2:

Absolutely.

01:57:20 - 01:57:24 | Speaker 1:

You could be charged with manslaughter. Yeah. They got to catch you, though, first.

01:57:25 - 01:57:36 | Speaker 2:

They have to catch you, though, first. I bet you there's probably case law in Michigan. I'm actually going to look it up today that there's most definitely a case where that's happened.

01:57:36 - 01:57:40 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I'm still lazy. I'd risk it, probably. To not have to go shit.

01:57:40 - 01:57:51 | Speaker 2:

You guys talked about it, I think, yesterday, about going and getting a car wash. Yeah. But we can't do that before work. Yeah. Well, I know plenty of people that wake up in the morning and go to Jack's. Well, actually, I guess we could. Yeah.

01:57:52 - 01:57:55 | Speaker 3:

We could go in the one next door and get stuck in there like KP did.

01:57:55 - 01:57:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, let's not use the power washer. Are they open 24?

01:57:57 - 01:57:58 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:57:58 - 01:57:59 | Speaker 3:

The one next door? Yeah.

01:57:59 - 01:58:01 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's a Speedway gas station.

01:58:01 - 01:58:06 | Speaker 4:

Mojo, you're the only person who would get a car wash before work at four in the morning.

01:58:06 - 01:58:15 | Speaker 1:

I did it because I was running early that day, and I almost got trapped in it, so I didn't do it. By the way, check this. We had a doctor last hour. We have an attorney this hour.

01:58:15 - 01:58:18 | Speaker 3:

I need an extra smart today. Who would have thought? Seriously. Love our audience.

01:58:18 - 01:58:22 | Speaker 1:

How are you not listening to WJR right now? What's going on, Dustin?

01:58:23 - 01:58:24 | Speaker 3:

Not much.

01:58:24 - 01:58:25 | Speaker 1:

How you doing?

01:58:25 - 01:58:27 | Speaker 3:

Dustin, what do you do for a living? How are you guys doing today?

01:58:27 - 01:58:33 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, what do you do for a living, Dustin? We don't want to discount anybody else's occupations, but we've had a doctor and a lawyer this morning.

01:58:33 - 01:58:35 | Speaker 2:

I am a construction worker.

01:58:35 - 01:58:41 | Speaker 1:

Oh, whatever. All right, well, go ahead. What's going on?

01:58:41 - 01:58:45 | Speaker 4:

You said you're too short to reach the middle of your SUV. Yeah, that's me. Get a push broom.

01:58:46 - 01:58:48 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you're right. There are no excuses. You're right.

01:58:49 - 01:58:53 | Speaker 1:

That actually is a good idea. Put a, you know, get a push broom or a broom for the top of your thing.

01:58:53 - 01:58:55 | Speaker 3:

But then I truly didn't even think of that.

01:58:55 - 01:59:10 | Speaker 1:

I have a thing in my car that I bought at a truck stop on the way home, like one of those nice truck stops. and it moves and it actually you pull it out like a selfie stick yeah like a selfie stick

01:59:10 - 01:59:14 | Speaker 2:

is that what it is I use that

01:59:14 - 01:59:27 | Speaker 1:

you're right I got burned I have a selfie stick it makes it really long I'm still lazy to do it though Jessica what's going on Jessica

01:59:27 - 01:59:58 | Speaker 4:

good morning I literally just got my car back after having my windshield exploded from an ice, a piece of ice falling off of a semi. Yeah, it actually came through the windshield on the expressway. It was terrifying. So when I made the police report, I had asked if I had pictures of the semi truck, if they could potentially be liable. And they said, unless I had video of it actually happening, there's no way of proving that it came off of that specific truck.

02:00:00 - 02:00:05 | Speaker 3:

So I wonder if you had eyewitnesses, if that would work, other than you, because it's just a he said, she said kind of thing.

02:00:06 - 02:00:10 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah, true. But nobody else stopped, so it was terrifying.

02:00:10 - 02:00:10 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:00:11 - 02:00:13 | Speaker 1:

It glassed all over me. Yeah.

02:00:13 - 02:00:16 | Speaker 4:

I mean, you could have died doing that.

02:00:16 - 02:00:18 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, if you swerved or went off the road.

02:00:18 - 02:00:27 | Speaker 1:

I did, yeah. It scared me so much. Yeah, I did. I swerved off to the shoulder, and then I kind of kept driving for a minute and then had to get over, obviously, because I had no windshield.

02:00:28 - 02:00:33 | Speaker 3:

Wow. Did you, like I did, did you see it fly through the air and then try to swerve to avoid it? In slow motion.

02:00:33 - 02:00:44 | Speaker 1:

I didn't. I didn't. Well, I guess I swerved a little bit, but it was like slow motion, yeah. It was coming straight forward. Like my hip hit right in front of my face, too, which was the other scary thing.

02:00:44 - 02:00:46 | Speaker 4:

Did you do what Mike did and go, no?

02:00:49 - 02:00:50 | Speaker 1:

I said a few words.

02:00:50 - 02:00:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:00:51 - 02:00:56 | Speaker 1:

Mother Earth. Yeah. Yeah, it was scary.

02:00:57 - 02:00:58 | Speaker 4:

Derek, what's happening?

02:00:58 - 02:01:00 | Speaker 2:

Hey, what's going on, guys?

02:01:00 - 02:01:04 | Speaker 4:

Nothing much. Mike hates on truckers. I just want everybody to know that. He's hating on truckers right now.

02:01:05 - 02:01:20 | Speaker 2:

I mean, it's not really hating on truckers. I don't blame him. I'm a trucker myself. The ice on top of the truck, we can't do a lot about it unless you're a big company with fancy yards that have those things. No, we can't even get out a ladder because usually the yards we go to are filled with ice.

02:01:20 - 02:01:29 | Speaker 4:

He sounds like a trucker, doesn't he? Okay, good buddy. Do you talk on your CB like that? Hey, like do you do Breaker 1-9? And what's your CB call name?

02:01:30 - 02:01:35 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no, I don't mess with the CB anymore. None of us do that, except for, like, the old, old school guys.

02:01:35 - 02:01:39 | Speaker 4:

Now that we have cell phones, you don't need to do that anymore? I think it'd still be fun.

02:01:40 - 02:01:45 | Speaker 2:

I can't even touch that thing, man. That's a $2,700 ticket. I could lose my license for a year. You're kidding me.

02:01:45 - 02:01:46 | Speaker 4:

If you're on your CB?

02:01:47 - 02:01:47 | Speaker 2:

On my cell phone.

02:01:47 - 02:01:51 | Speaker 4:

On your cell phone. So you have to be ahead. Wait, so how are you talking to us now?

02:01:51 - 02:01:53 | Speaker 3:

You just use the apps to find out if there's cups?

02:01:54 - 02:01:57 | Speaker 2:

No, no, no, no. I got you on the radio on top of the fact I've got, like, a...

02:01:57 - 02:02:07 | Speaker 4:

You know what you sound like? You sound like the DJs on the rock station next door here at the station. All right, all right. Hold on. All right, all right.

02:02:07 - 02:02:08 | Speaker 2:

Wait, wait, wait.

02:02:08 - 02:02:10 | Speaker 4:

You know what he's going to do. I'm going to have you walk up a song.

02:02:11 - 02:02:11 | Speaker 2:

Do you know what that means?

02:02:11 - 02:02:13 | Speaker 4:

Like intro a song? Will you do it for us?

02:02:14 - 02:02:18 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I don't know about a song. You want some cranky or something? I can do that.

02:02:18 - 02:02:25 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no, no. No, we need you to be like 106.7 Detroit's wheels. We have the classic rock that rocks here in the Motor City. Yeah, will you do that for us?

02:02:25 - 02:02:25 | Speaker 2:

Which one?

02:02:25 - 02:02:29 | Speaker 4:

So you can say 106.7 wheels.

02:02:31 - 02:02:32 | Speaker 2:

106.7 wheels.

02:02:32 - 02:02:37 | Speaker 4:

Ready? Perfect. And then you've got to talk for 29 seconds about whatever you want to talk about. Ready? And.

02:02:40 - 02:02:53 | Speaker 2:

106 wheels. There. Talk about whatever I want to talk about, which is usually about nothing. I can't even stand being on the phone right now. But I love you guys. First time caller. Really appreciate it. And I don't know, man. I'm out of here. Bye.

02:02:54 - 02:02:55 | Unknown:

I love you.

02:02:55 - 02:03:06 | Speaker 4:

He posted. He posted. That was amazing. Yeah. What you doing this weekend? You know what you got to do? You got to pull a weekend shift for us. I'll call Doug Podell and make it happen, okay?

02:03:07 - 02:03:19 | Speaker 1:

She was a fast machine. She cut the water clean. She was the best damn woman that I've ever seen. She had a saddest eyes telling me no lies.

02:03:19 - 02:03:21 | Unknown:

Knocking me out with those of my eyes.

02:03:21 - 02:03:48 | Speaker 4:

That voice, by the way, was so great, wasn't it? Baby. Hey, what's going on, Mojo? I just wanted to tell you about it. What was the guy's name again? Was it Derek? It was Derek. Was it? Derek. Trucker Derek. DJ Derek. We got to make him a misfit. Call us back. Drop an ice on your car and a hit's in your speaker. That was good. That was excellent. Nice.

02:03:51 - 02:03:52 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the morning.

02:03:54 - 02:03:55 | Unknown:

Sweet.

02:03:55 - 02:03:57 | Speaker 3:

Five lies to tell your mom.

02:03:57 - 02:04:08 | Speaker 4:

02:04:09 - 02:04:10 | Speaker 2:

02:04:10 - 02:04:21 | Speaker 4:

All right, Kenny. Let's see what kind of fun we can have with mom. Lie number one, you're going to say, mom, I'm stuck. Lie number two.

02:04:21 - 02:04:23 | Speaker 2:

02:04:26 - 02:04:28 | Speaker 3:

02:04:30 - 02:04:32 | Speaker 4:

All right. Cassie's your girl.

02:04:33 - 02:04:33 | Speaker 2:

Right.

02:04:34 - 02:04:38 | Speaker 4:

Lie number four. And I'm handcuffed to the shelf.

02:04:40 - 02:04:41 | Unknown:

All right.

02:04:43 - 02:04:50 | Speaker 4:

And lie number five. She went to find help, but I'm naked and alone.

02:04:50 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 2:

02:05:00 - 02:05:01 | Speaker 3:

02:05:06 - 02:05:07 | Speaker 3:

02:05:08 - 02:05:10 | Speaker 2:

All right. We're dialing up your mom, okay?

02:05:11 - 02:05:11 | Speaker 3:

02:05:58 - 02:05:59 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

02:06:00 - 02:06:28 | Speaker 3:

Well, I called you because I didn't know who else to call exactly. Kathy decided to come meet me for my lunch break, and we were messing around in the back of the truck, and I'm handcuffed to one of the shelves, and I can't get off. I don't know what to do! I'm serious! What do you mean?

02:06:28 - 02:06:39 | Speaker 4:

I'll give you this, your mama's a freak and I can hand it to you but I don't see you doing that.

02:06:39 - 02:06:41 | Speaker 3:

What do I do?

02:06:41 - 02:06:47 | Speaker 4:

You better call her and tell her to bring a f***ing earpin.

02:06:47 - 02:06:58 | Speaker 3:

Well, I'm naked in the back of the truck, and Cassie did just go to get help, but I'm stuck. Help me.

02:06:59 - 02:07:03 | Speaker 4:

I'm not in here. You have to be kidding me.

02:07:06 - 02:07:07 | Speaker 3:

How am I kidding?

02:07:09 - 02:07:17 | Speaker 4:

I know you better than that. There ain't no way you would be freaky in the back of the

02:07:17 - 02:07:20 | Speaker 3:

Well I guess you don't know me too well

02:07:20 - 02:07:27 | Speaker 5:

02:07:27 - 02:07:36 | Speaker 4:

02:07:36 - 02:07:44 | Speaker 2:

02:07:44 - 02:07:47 | Speaker 4:

02:07:47 - 02:07:49 | Speaker 2:

02:07:50 - 02:07:52 | Speaker 4:

02:07:52 - 02:07:54 | Speaker 2:

02:08:30 - 02:08:46 | Speaker 4:

a truck. I know, it's horrible. No, it's just, no, no. He's, he's, oh, he could do it. I have to verify this because I had beautiful babies, but my babies are also a little bit more discreet than their mama sometimes.

02:08:46 - 02:08:53 | Speaker 2:

Wait a second. Are you saying, mom, that you're more adventurous sexually than your son, Kenny?

02:08:54 - 02:08:58 | Speaker 4:

Well, I mean, I haven't ever had enough. I'm just saying.

02:09:00 - 02:09:12 | Speaker 2:

Now I got a cramp. You just won a prize for your mom, Kenny. Congratulations, buddy. Awesome. Thanks. Mom?

02:09:12 - 02:09:14 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. Is it diamonds?

02:09:14 - 02:09:24 | Speaker 2:

No, no, no. No diamonds. We actually got Kenny's company to give us his work truck, and you get to have some fun in the back of it if you want.

02:09:24 - 02:09:33 | Speaker 4:

Oh, hell no. We don't need to make that An international porn

02:09:33 - 02:09:44 | Speaker 2:

Mom, when you do that laugh You make that noise I love it It's got a little like a wheeze laugh

02:09:44 - 02:09:49 | Speaker 4:

I know, everybody loves my laugh They try to, and I'm like You can't, you just can't

02:09:49 - 02:09:50 | Speaker 2:

You can't duplicate it

02:09:50 - 02:09:52 | Speaker 4:

This is Mojo in the Morning. Call Mojo in the Morning. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548.

02:10:57 - 02:11:09 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Joe, in the morning, Joe. Megan, Megan, Megan.

02:11:10 - 02:11:14 | Speaker 4:

Hey, that's me. How you doing? I'm living the dream. How are you?

02:11:14 - 02:11:18 | Speaker 1:

Good. You've been a little quiet today. You just kind of chilling in that studio of yours?

02:11:18 - 02:11:22 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Actually, I took a fat nap. That's what I've been doing. It's napping.

02:11:23 - 02:11:26 | Speaker 1:

Well, hold on. Let's go to the cameras right now and take a look.

02:11:26 - 02:11:32 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah, we can do that. See what's going on. Oh, you don't think I covered them up? Oh, babe, I covered them up in a fit of rage.

02:11:32 - 02:11:43 | Speaker 1:

You should spray paint them since they didn't tell you. Spray paint right over and then they say you destructed property, you say, and you just did something illegal. Have they not said anything at all yet about that?

02:11:43 - 02:11:51 | Speaker 4:

They came and apologized. Did they? They did. They did. I'm wondering if somebody thinks they're going to get in trouble.

02:11:53 - 02:12:04 | Speaker 1:

You got that to hold. By the way, somebody was asking me the other day something and I said, I'm calling HR and they said you are and I said no because I don't know what the number is how do I do that

02:12:04 - 02:12:05 | Speaker 4:

do we have HR here

02:12:05 - 02:12:47 | Speaker 1:

somewhere in that work day thing that app that every now and then it's the app that I hope that my facial recognition on my phone works when I try to go in there otherwise I got to try to remember what my password is alright it's Mojo in the morning show so speaking of that speaking of work You know what you got to bring up? So when you leave a company, they will do exit interviews, which I always find interesting when companies do exit interviews because do they exit interview everyone, even the people that get fired from the company?

02:12:47 - 02:12:49 | Speaker 4:

Or just the people that quit?

02:12:49 - 02:12:58 | Speaker 1:

Or just the people that quit and move on to another place? Because you're going to probably get a different type of response, right?

02:12:59 - 02:13:00 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I would think so.

02:13:00 - 02:13:06 | Speaker 2:

I think you'd want to talk to everybody if you're a big corporation to see if there is any problem you need to deal with.

02:13:06 - 02:13:09 | Speaker 1:

Do you ever notice that everybody now wants a survey on how everything's done?

02:13:09 - 02:13:10 | Speaker 2:

Oh, everything.

02:13:11 - 02:13:18 | Speaker 1:

It's like everything you go to, even now companies that you might work for want to survey on how they are as a company. So what happened with your friend?

02:13:19 - 02:14:42 | Speaker 4:

A friend of mine just quit her job, right? So she put in her two weeks. And I think this week is going to be, like, this Friday is, I think, her last day. And she quit her job specifically because her boss was just absolutely terrible. So I thought, oh, my God, what a great opportunity. You're going to have an exit interview. Like, is this going to be essentially a therapy session for you? Are you going to let it all loose? Are you going to let it all out? Like, what's going to happen? And she straight up was like, no, I don't think I will say what happens because I don't want to burn any bridges. And I'm not here for that kind of attitude. It's 2023. And I am here to burn spit down. I was very kind of confused on this one because I brought it up with more people in my life. And I said, what do you do in exit interviews? And the majority of them said, I would never say what happened. I'm just moving on There's no point I kind of felt like Isn't there a moral responsibility To the co-workers that are staying behind That if there's an issue It's addressed And I couldn't believe how torn people were on this Because I think I'd let it all out But I see I would be nervous That it would affect Like a reference that was needed Okay genuinely Are references even a thing anymore? I don't know

02:14:42 - 02:14:45 | Speaker 1:

That's what I was going to say. Yes, because I did a reference for intern Billy yesterday.

02:14:46 - 02:14:53 | Speaker 2:

Supposedly, companies are very skittish about even sharing anything on a reference. They won't even talk about what you did on the job.

02:14:53 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 4:

But I'm saying, not even that, I'm saying if you rip the company a new one in your exit interview, and then you need somebody from said company.

02:15:00 - 02:15:11 | Speaker 3:

to give you a reference for you to get a new job, they're going to have a bad taste in their mouth, right? But were they going to write you a good reference to begin with? Exactly. Well, it depends on whether you left or if you were fired.

02:15:11 - 02:15:19 | Speaker 1:

You know what? The thing about exit interview is, why didn't you ask these questions to your employees while they were employed? Why did they have to leave to know what the situation was? Because nobody wants accountability.

02:15:20 - 02:15:54 | Speaker 7:

Okay, so without going too deep into the weeds, I want to see if we get calls from listeners that will tell us what they said on their exit interviews. and did they, like, you know, burn the place down? Did you light an inferno and call some people out and stuff like that in the exit interviews? Because the only time that I answer surveys, like we were talking about everything's got surveys, is if I have extremely horrible service or an extremely horrible situation, like, you know, a bad, you know, purchase that I made or whatever, and it was a dud, or extremely exceptional.

02:15:54 - 02:15:58 | Speaker 3:

Same. Same. Or if they give me 15% off for doing a survey. Yeah.

02:15:59 - 02:15:59 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

02:16:00 - 02:16:06 | Speaker 6:

That is true, by the way. Sadly, most reviews are negative, right? You know what I hate? People love to tell you what happened that was wrong.

02:16:06 - 02:16:19 | Speaker 7:

I hate when you do a thing and it says, this will take you only a couple minutes. And then you answer a question honestly. And it comes back to you wanting you to answer five more questions about the question you just answered honestly.

02:16:19 - 02:16:20 | Speaker 6:

You violated my trust.

02:16:20 - 02:16:24 | Speaker 7:

I thought you said this was only going to be a few minutes. What's up, Bob? Maria, how you doing?

02:16:25 - 02:16:26 | Speaker 4:

Good. How are you guys doing?

02:16:26 - 02:16:34 | Speaker 7:

Doing good. We're talking about Megan's friend just left a job and has the exit interview. Do people answer these things honestly?

02:16:35 - 02:16:51 | Speaker 4:

You know, I would have to agree with Megan. Granted, I've never seen them truly being answered honestly. But I think in terms of, you know, keeping morale and retention, I think it's important to know what the issues were.

02:16:52 - 02:16:57 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. But have you ever had what was you're in human resources, right? Isn't that what I said as Amara?

02:16:58 - 02:16:59 | Speaker 4:

Yep, I'm an HR manager.

02:17:00 - 02:17:07 | Speaker 7:

So do you ever go through those exit interviews and had somebody just blast a person that you work with?

02:17:08 - 02:17:16 | Speaker 4:

Not an exit interview per se, but, you know, going through the end of employment, you know, I have had people get really rowdy and kind of throw punches.

02:17:17 - 02:17:19 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God. Wow. Jeez.

02:17:20 - 02:17:23 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. That's working at a plant for you.

02:17:24 - 02:17:26 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God. I bet. What's going on, Justin?

02:17:26 - 02:17:54 | Speaker 5:

yeah i uh i worked at a factory for 10 years uh and you know when i i quit because i i worked there for 10 years and they wouldn't give me a raise and you know when i did my exit interview before i left i told them you know you need to take care of your employees not have parties for you know the upper management when you're your slave labor is out here working hard for you guys and you do absolutely nothing for us, you know?

02:17:55 - 02:17:57 | Speaker 7:

And what did they say? Did they ever respond back to you?

02:17:59 - 02:18:06 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, they said, oh, you know, we'll take that into consideration. And, you know, that's what they always say, though, you know?

02:18:06 - 02:18:10 | Speaker 7:

They probably said that they read it right from their party that they were having.

02:18:10 - 02:18:13 | Speaker 3:

And do you know from people who still work there, did it make any change?

02:18:14 - 02:18:30 | Speaker 5:

No, actually, I went across the street and started working for another company. and the people that still work there, the place is just continuing to go downhill. And I wouldn't doubt if they're out of business within the next five years.

02:18:30 - 02:18:34 | Speaker 7:

Does the new company throw parties just for the higher-end people?

02:18:35 - 02:18:35 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah.

02:18:35 - 02:18:36 | Speaker 7:

Wow.

02:18:36 - 02:19:05 | Speaker 5:

No, no. The new place I work for, they cooked us lunch at least once a month. They cook lunch for us out back. Wow. They do everything. I just had my one-year anniversary there, and not only did I get a dollar raised, but I got a letter from the CEO of the company just telling me thank you. Nice. And just that little bit right there makes me want to work there longer. Hold up. Where do you work again? I'm just kidding. It's curious.

02:19:05 - 02:19:09 | Speaker 7:

Not so fast. Sarah's voice is, guys. What's going on, Sarah?

02:19:10 - 02:19:32 | Speaker 2:

Hi, guys. Good morning. Hi. I agree with Megan. So when you leave your company, you're going to do an exit interview, and you're going to go off on them.

02:19:32 - 02:19:33 | Speaker 6:

You're going to burn the place down.

02:19:36 - 02:19:45 | Speaker 2:

I think that's why a lot of people use Glassdoor.

02:19:45 - 02:19:51 | Speaker 3:

because you know you can can't you write anonymously on glass door about a particular

02:19:51 - 02:19:55 | Speaker 7:

company what is glass door i always hear everybody talk about it but i never used it i mean it's a

02:19:55 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 3:

website where you write your jobs and your bosses and stuff yeah you get the insights

02:20:00 - 02:20:04 | Speaker 1:

scoop with employee reviews from people actually right so like even if you're interviewing for a

02:20:04 - 02:20:37 | Speaker 5:

job you can go on there and go do i do i really want to work at this company let me see what past and present employees are saying or have been saying about it's not all negative there are lots of people that talk correct highly about their jobs and say like this is the best place i worked and this that and the other thing but okay so back to the whole like employment and references thing if you're a boss hiring do you really care what your new employees ex-boss thought like all different types of relationships are different that doesn't mean it would be a bad employer they wouldn't be a good fit at the new place i think it's illegal to give a bad reference yeah that's

02:20:37 - 02:20:40 | Speaker 1:

what i was saying i think there's some implications to that yeah i think there's legalities you had

02:20:40 - 02:20:44 | Speaker 5:

a problem with one person doesn't mean you hate the company but the company probably needs to

02:20:44 - 02:21:17 | Speaker 2:

learn about that person like i've had people people ask for references say hey will you be a reference for me and i think that a lot of times what i'll get is you know hey don't tell me how they are as a as you know a worker we want to know you know are they upbeat are they fun like whatever like the the person that asked me or you know asked me for past people that work here at the station they just want to know that the that the person that's filling out the job application actually had some people that they worked with that liked them i think you know that they weren't

02:21:17 - 02:21:21 | Speaker 1:

lying on their resume even double checking did they really work there eight years and stuff like

02:21:21 - 02:21:32 | Speaker 2:

that what's up mila hi how are you guys good morning good morning you're an hr person in in your business and what do you have to say about the exit interviews and also references

02:21:32 - 02:22:02 | Speaker 4:

i would say that for the exit interviews i can't speak for all companies but i know that the places that i've worked which is a lot um they definitely take into account what the exit interviews say if there's like a consistent trend let's say someone is talking about management being poor or organization being poor, they take that into account and they start investigating to see why is, are we losing people to this issue? I bet that happens even more nowadays with the

02:22:02 - 02:22:09 | Speaker 2:

hard, how hard it is to, to find people these days. Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. Like I can

02:22:09 - 02:22:45 | Speaker 4:

say 100% the focus for employee experience is huge now. I mean, if you're not going to do that, you're not going to be able to retain employees you have to be employee focused interesting okay what about references references so yeah i would from for me personally i think everyone looks at references differently but i would definitely agree that the personality and the person aspect of it is so much more important than than how they were at the job because you can virtually train anyone who's willing to do anything but you can't you know we can't build someone's character Right.

02:22:46 - 02:22:49 | Speaker 2:

That's a very good point. Katie, hi.

02:22:49 - 02:22:51 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Good morning, guys. Good. How you doing?

02:22:52 - 02:22:53 | Speaker 2:

You got a crazy story to tell us.

02:22:53 - 02:23:04 | Speaker 3:

I got a crazy story. So do you guys recall the boutique that the owner was a man, and he emailed the candidate saying she wasn't that cute?

02:23:04 - 02:23:06 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I remember that. That was a big story here.

02:23:07 - 02:23:18 | Speaker 3:

It was. I actually worked for that boutique as well for just a couple weeks because they ended up firing me. Honestly, it was because I said the name of a material wrong. That's it. And they fired me.

02:23:18 - 02:23:35 | Speaker 2:

Do you guys remember that story? I don't. I'm trying to recall. It was a family-owned boutique, right? A husband and wife owned it? Yep. And the man talked about how the person that was applying for the job wasn't that cute, so they weren't going to hire her because she wasn't a good representative looks-wise for them, right?

02:23:36 - 02:24:06 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Apparently, I mean, I disagree, but that was on him. Right. But in turn, so I was let go. They didn't give me the chance to do an exit interview, which I also thought was pretty absurd, but I told a couple friends about what happened, so they took to Google and left reviews based on their opinion, and then the owners threatened to sue, and they said that they had reached out to legal teams and were going to prepare to sue us unless we deleted these reviews.

02:24:06 - 02:24:07 | Speaker 2:

Did you delete them?

02:24:08 - 02:24:10 | Speaker 3:

We had to because we were scared.

02:24:10 - 02:24:13 | Speaker 2:

Question for you. What was the fabric that you could not pronounce?

02:24:13 - 02:24:21 | Speaker 3:

I know. I want to know, too. All right, right? No, so it was rayon. But I said radon, and radon is a poisonous gas.

02:24:23 - 02:24:26 | Speaker 2:

And they only fired you for that, or was there more to the firing?

02:24:27 - 02:24:27 | Speaker 3:

That's what they said.

02:24:28 - 02:24:32 | Speaker 2:

They fired you because you didn't know. God, if that was the case of mispronouncing things, that would have been gone a long time ago.

02:24:33 - 02:24:40 | Speaker 3:

All of us. I took the social media and took the Google, but they threatened to sue, and it just wasn't worth it.

02:24:40 - 02:24:48 | Speaker 1:

Like, after they fire you for mispronouncing a word, do you say, dude, you accidentally sent a job candidate a video calling her not cute? Like, what?

02:24:49 - 02:24:54 | Speaker 3:

Talk about simple mistakes. That actually happened after my employment. Oh, okay. I was like, of course.

02:24:54 - 02:24:55 | Speaker 1:

Of course that happened.

02:24:55 - 02:24:56 | Speaker 3:

That's how terrible they are.

02:24:56 - 02:24:58 | Speaker 2:

Well, at least you know you're cute enough to get a job there.

02:24:58 - 02:24:58 | Speaker 3:

I mean.

02:25:00 - 02:25:01 | Speaker 1:

Did you hear what I said?

02:25:02 - 02:25:03 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I did not. I'm sorry.

02:25:03 - 02:25:06 | Speaker 1:

At least you know you were cute enough to get a job there.

02:25:06 - 02:25:08 | Speaker 2:

Damn right. Damn right.

02:25:10 - 02:25:26 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Phone scam coming up in just a little bit right now. Shannon with the Dirty on the 30. And by the way, with the phone scam, Shannon and Spike and everybody, this hour, a chance to go to see the Red Wings. It's Red Wing Wednesday here, and we have a pair of tickets for tomorrow night's game.

02:25:26 - 02:26:17 | Speaker 3:

Vanessa Bryant and her kids are going to receive more than $28, almost $29 million to settle their outstanding claims against L.A. County. And this is the case over those graphic photos that were unfortunately taken and shared after the helicopter crash that killed Kobe and Gigi Bryant back in 2020. That settlement, that number, includes the 15 mil awarded by a jury last summer. The additional nearly $14 million settles other potential additional claims that Vanessa and her daughters had pursued in state court. A statement from the lead counsel for L.A. County in the case says, we hope Ms. Bryant and her children continue to heal from their loss. And also hopeful that this sets a precedent for the tabloids and the media and, you know, to not receive these photos, right? To not publish these photos that they're receiving from EMS workers, police officers, firefighters, and such.

02:26:17 - 02:26:19 | Speaker 1:

Those photos should only be taken for evidence. Absolutely. And that's it.

02:26:19 - 02:28:02 | Speaker 3:

Word on the street is that King Charles is evicting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from Frogmore Cottage. That's the home that they lived in for the short period of time they were living in the U.K., and when they visited, they would stay there as well. But the royal five-bedroom home is now being offered to Prince Andrew. Yes, the guy who had ties to the late Jeffrey Epstein. Insiders telling me the king started this process back in January, the day after Prince Harry's memoir, Spare, hit shelves. Now, as far as I know, Harry and Meghan have not been offered an alternative home on the royal family's estate. They're instead just planning to ship all of their stuff to Montecito, California, where they're currently living and call it a day. The Today Show revealing this morning that Hoda Kotb has been absent from the anchor desk for more than a week because of a family health matter. Fans were wondering where she went. There was no explanation on the show nor on social media where she was. Craig Melvin said the team looks forward to seeing Hoda and Savannah back on the desk. Savannah left in the middle of the show yesterday after testing positive for COVID. Michigan State University, speaking of, will no longer require the COVID vaccine for students, staff and faculty. That's effective today, I believe. There still may be some limited situations in which professional students and employees must be vaccinated, Like if they're in the hospital or the health care facility, if, you know, they're working and studying there. But regardless, MSU, along with the CDC, say, you know, we do strongly encourage all members of the Spartan community to stay up to date with your COVID vaccinations and all other vaccinations. But it's not required.

02:28:02 - 02:28:33 | Speaker 1:

They also announced and are going to talk more about it today, but they're announcing measures that they're taking on the university's campus to try to become more secure. You know, because it is a state institution, they can't lock doors because it's open to everybody. But they're now going to lock doors with key entrances past, I think it's six o'clock in the evening they're talking about. So they're talking about doing some changes on there. I actually did not know that since it's a state university that anybody can be on campus at any time.

02:28:33 - 02:28:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I didn't know that either.

02:28:34 - 02:28:42 | Speaker 1:

And that's the same thing, I guess, with University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, University of Toledo and stuff like that. But it's wild knowing my daughter. If it's owned by the state, you can actually walk into buildings.

02:28:42 - 02:28:47 | Speaker 2:

When she goes into some of the classrooms in her department, she has to swipe her badge to unlock doors.

02:28:47 - 02:28:50 | Speaker 1:

Is Grand Valley a state also? Yes.

02:28:50 - 02:28:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but I wonder if it's because she's in biology and medical and maybe there's equipment and lab chemicals and stuff that they have to protect.

02:28:59 - 02:29:32 | Speaker 3:

And lastly, this story is going viral. You can actually see it on the dirty page. A frisbee-catching dog brought in for halftime entertainment during the Louisville men's basketball game ended up having a little accident on the court. He actually pooped on the hardwood at the KFC Yum! Center last night. It's Traynor rushed out to deal with the situation, picked up the dog, carried him off the court. He was still pooping in the process, but again, the video along with all of today's Dirty on the Dirty page at mojointhemorning.com.

02:29:33 - 02:29:38 | Speaker 2:

This is the home of the Dirty on the 30s. Fault cams. And War of the Roses. Mojo in the Morning.

Go Warriors. I saw when it was Central Michigan's my buddy Dan Bodewine was out there with all of his buddies that he went to Central with celebrating. It's kind of cool. They really do a great job in the concourse area and stuff like that. Taking pictures in front of all of the cool logos. And then look at the hats they made for the Warriors.

02:30:36 - 02:30:46 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, they're awesome. Aren't those awesome? It's so much fun to see Red Wings gear in other schools' colors instead of the red. Yeah. And then you get to rep two cool teams at once.

02:30:46 - 02:30:46 | Speaker 1:

That's awesome.

02:30:47 - 02:31:31 | Speaker 4:

You know, I don't do this very often, but can I dedicate today's phone scam? Sure. I met a, well, you'll find this surprising. I met a bartender. Meg and I were out. And I met Jessica, who was a bartender at the library pub. And as we're getting up, ready to leave the bar, she came over. She said, I didn't want to bother you. I'm really sorry. I don't want to disrupt your night. But she said, my dad and I used to sit in the car and listen to the phone scam every morning. And she would drive her dad to chemo and radiation at Henry Ford Health Systems. And she said her dad just passed. But one of the bright spots of his day was coming out of chemo and radiation. Did I miss the phone scam? And they would sit there and listen every day. So, Jessica, I just want to say we're thinking about you. It was really nice of you to say hi, and we love those kind of memories with the phone scams.

02:31:32 - 02:32:00 | Speaker 1:

Well, Joe, in the morning phone scam, Hannah and Brittany work overnights together at one of our favorite stores that's open 24 hours a day. When they get done with their shifts in the morning, they enjoy a little treat together in the parking lot. Hannah never tried edibles before and this gave us the idea to call Brittany and scare her into thinking that Hannah had too much it's a mojo in the morning phone scam

02:32:00 - 02:32:14 | Speaker 2:

we will we will scam you sorry it's a catchy song it's your home with phone scams mojo in the morning hello

02:32:14 - 02:32:20 | Speaker 3:

hello this is Kumar Patel from a corporate office in New Jersey. I'm calling for Brittany, please.

02:32:21 - 02:32:22 | Speaker 5:

This is Brittany.

02:32:22 - 02:32:28 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Brittany. Have you spoken to Hannah K*** in the past few hours, your co-worker? Have you seen her?

02:32:29 - 02:32:31 | Speaker 5:

Not since work. Is everything okay?

02:32:32 - 02:33:10 | Speaker 3:

Yes, everything's fine. Well, let me bring you up to speed. Hannah came back into work after her shift was over, and the manager got a call on her radio about a disturbance by the front entrance. so she goes over to find hannah in her bra because she said she was hot and she was asking customers to quote motorboat her oh my god yes apparently hannah also went to the floral department and she was drinking all the water out of the floral displays no way oh my gosh um and And then she went...

02:33:10 - 02:33:10 | Speaker 5:

How weird, is she okay?

02:33:11 - 02:33:23 | Speaker 3:

She's okay. She's waiting for her mom to come pick her up, and she's in the break room where she was just crying that she's never going to win Super Smash Bros, and nobody could console her.

02:33:23 - 02:33:25 | Speaker 5:

Is there anything that I can do?

02:33:26 - 02:33:31 | Speaker 3:

Well, you can fill me in. Was she acting strange or anything wrong?

02:33:31 - 02:33:32 | Speaker 5:

No, not at all.

02:33:33 - 02:33:55 | Speaker 3:

Because then she went to the produce section, and she took exactly one bite out of each apple. And I mean every apple. The Fiji, the Macintosh, the Golden Delicious, the Granny Smith, the Honey Crisps. Every apple. And then she was pointing to her bottom and yelling at customers, how do you like this juicy peach?

02:33:57 - 02:33:59 | Speaker 5:

Hannah was saying that?

02:33:59 - 02:34:05 | Speaker 3:

Yes, so I guess the reason I'm calling is, do you have any ideas of what got her into this?

02:34:05 - 02:34:09 | Speaker 5:

No, no. Are you kidding? Like, we were just, I mean...

02:34:09 - 02:34:22 | Speaker 3:

We looked at the security cameras, and we're trying to piece this together, and we noticed you two went into your car, sat there for almost half an hour, and then she got out and came back into the store, and you drove off. Did she talk about anything?

02:34:23 - 02:34:28 | Speaker 5:

No. I mean, you know, I don't know how many overnights she worked. Maybe she's just tired.

02:34:29 - 02:34:33 | Speaker 3:

Well, it seems to me she may be under the influence of something. What were you guys doing?

02:34:35 - 02:34:36 | Speaker 5:

No, we were just listening to music.

02:34:37 - 02:34:41 | Speaker 3:

Well, she was under the influence of a little more than Cardi B.

02:34:42 - 02:34:43 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I think she's tired.

02:34:44 - 02:34:54 | Speaker 3:

Brittany, we're all tired. I'm tired, you're tired. Why don't you just come clean? Were you guys having fun with the black gold, with the primo hydro bud, the chronic?

02:34:54 - 02:34:57 | Speaker 5:

I don't even know what any of that is. What are you talking about?

02:34:57 - 02:35:00 | Speaker 3:

Hannah smells like she had a party.

02:35:00 - 02:35:12 | Speaker 2:

and i'm not gonna play dumb here like i don't know i'm talking to ganja girl on the phone here were you smoking the buddha we worked overnight i think she's just tired um i've never seen her

02:35:28 - 02:35:35 | Speaker 2:

02:37:50 - 02:39:53 | Speaker 3:

worse luckily i didn't open my big trap and we were just getting comments on our text messages from people saying about the voice i use in the phone script i was talking really low because they told me she was a big fan of the show and she would recognize my voice so i was trying to change it up a little bit and i kind of had a situation with a deep voice yesterday i had to sort out an old car loan bill that I got and I was calling the 800 number and I waited on hold for 40 minutes and I finally got somebody on and they said, hi, you know, hi, this is Charlie, agent number, blah, blah, blah, gave me her customer service number. And then she helped me with the bill. Well, I first, I thought it was a man. And then I figured out after a few minutes in the conversation, I think I'm actually talking to a woman named Charlie. And I shouldn't have assumed but she had a really deep voice and the name charlie i just you know in my brain i triggered oh it's a man and then she started talking about my husband and then i thought wait is it a gay man and then as she kept as she kept talking i said no this is definitely this is a woman and i didn't know so i just like i stopped talking she was being real friendly and talking to me about situations while we were waiting for her computer to pull up the report and i was like do we know for a fact it is her computer no i'm still not sure so i just stopped saying anything And because I was so afraid of saying the wrong thing, I just was being so careful. And I thought, there's a bunch of women who are constantly mistaken to be the opposite gender because of their deep voices, you know? And I wondered if there's any listeners that actually get called sir, but you're really a ma'am. And you've just been blessed with this deep voice that you didn't ask for or maybe smoked a lot of cigarettes in your lifetime. And does that happen to a lot of people where you actually, you know, people mistake you all the time on the phone? I was like tiptoeing on eggshells for the rest of the conversation. Once it triggered in my mind, wait, I don't know who I'm talking to here. I don't want to assume and offend anybody. So and then it was the longest phone call. And she kept he or she kept being really friendly and talking to me. But I didn't know I was, you know, being very careful to.

02:39:53 - 02:39:57 | Speaker 1:

Does that ever happen to you? That never happens to me. Yeah.

02:40:00 - 02:40:14 | Speaker 3:

It actually doesn't, but I think I've told this story several times before. Is this Bart Simpson? When I was in school, I definitely had a deep voice for a little girl, and so I would get made fun of.

02:40:14 - 02:40:16 | Speaker 5:

The best is when you have a cold, because then it goes down to more octaves.

02:40:16 - 02:40:23 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, like I can pretty much sing bass. I have the exact opposite problem.

02:40:24 - 02:40:39 | Speaker 6:

Ma'am, are you okay? And I'm like, what? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. KP, you also have a deep voice. Do people ever mistake you, KP?

02:40:40 - 02:41:08 | Speaker 1:

I can't remember who I was on the phone with this week, but someone did call me a sir, and they said, I'm sorry, ma'am, immediately after they did that. So I don't know if they thought I was at like a – my voice isn't as deep as Shannon's, I would say, but not that that's a bad thing. Let's do a deep off. Well, yeah. A deep voice. Are we going to do a deep off? What's the lowest? What's the lowest? Yeah. Touch my butt and call me pretty. I can go pretty deep. All right, let's see. I can go deeper.

02:41:11 - 02:41:25 | Speaker 5:

It's one of my favorite moves in phone scams when I'm talking to somebody, and they'll go, sir, I can't find your phone. And I'll go, ma'am, you mean ma'am? And they go, oh, I'm really sorry, ma'am. And then four minutes later, I go, oh, you mean sir? And I just confuse the hell out of them because they don't know who they're talking to.

02:41:25 - 02:41:28 | Speaker 6:

The funniest, though, is when it happens to you and you're just doing your regular voice.

02:41:28 - 02:41:31 | Speaker 5:

Right, yeah, I know. I'm not disguising my voice And they still say ma'am

02:41:31 - 02:41:47 | Speaker 6:

Oh my god I'll tell you What you know It's like no offense It's not like yesterday When you were talking to that person It's not like you're trying to offend them But sometimes you don't know And you're on the phone

02:41:47 - 02:41:59 | Speaker 5:

Trying to empathize And not assume just because of the voice I'm hearing But at the same time As we kept small talking She's talking about family Or he's talking about family I'm so nervous now, I don't want to say the wrong thing.

02:41:59 - 02:42:13 | Speaker 3:

I feel like that's happened to us so many times on the air, where we assume it's a female calling. Like, no, I'm a dude. We can't see you, so it's hard. And the connection is always terrible.

02:42:13 - 02:42:14 | Speaker 6:

Or it's just a smoker.

02:42:14 - 02:42:15 | Speaker 4:

Where do you keep the cigarettes?

02:42:17 - 02:42:19 | Speaker 6:

What's going on, Ed?

02:42:20 - 02:42:25 | Speaker 4:

So first, I just want to say hi, Shannon, former GI alum. Ah, hi, Ed.

02:42:25 - 02:42:29 | Speaker 6:

That's Groceal High School That's right

02:42:29 - 02:42:33 | Speaker 4:

And I would answer the phone and they would say Oh is this Mrs. Matthews

02:42:33 - 02:42:37 | Speaker 5:

And you're like what part of this Sounds like a Mrs.

02:42:38 - 02:42:44 | Speaker 4:

Well when I was in High school or maybe middle school I probably did sound like Mrs. Matthews

02:42:44 - 02:42:45 | Speaker 5:

That's alright

02:42:45 - 02:42:51 | Speaker 6:

Look at you and you've grown into this Deep voice this beautiful Sultry baritone

02:42:51 - 02:42:54 | Speaker 3:

Man what year did you graduate

02:42:54 - 02:42:55 | Speaker 4:

88

02:42:55 - 02:42:57 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so before me.

02:42:57 - 02:42:59 | Speaker 4:

You actually had my dad as a science teacher.

02:42:59 - 02:43:25 | Speaker 3:

Who was your dad? Oh, Mr. Matthews. Oh, seventh grade. I had the biggest crush on him. No, I'm sorry. That's Mrs. Matthews. Wait a second. You have to tell him. I used to have, and he was an older man. I used to have the biggest crush on him. I mean, I remember everything in his class. He divided his room one time into four different chambers of the heart and walked through it. He dissected fetal pigs in his class. And he walked through your heart. I remember him very, very well. Wow.

02:43:25 - 02:43:31 | Speaker 4:

And I told him the story, because we talked about this before. I told him that, and he, you know, he hears that a lot.

02:43:31 - 02:43:33 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I bet. Oh, you're so sweet.

02:43:33 - 02:43:34 | Speaker 6:

Goodbye, Ed.

02:43:35 - 02:43:36 | Speaker 3:

Goodbye.

02:43:36 - 02:43:37 | Speaker 6:

I'm saying that.

02:43:38 - 02:43:39 | Unknown:

That was my favorite.

02:43:40 - 02:43:42 | Speaker 6:

Mandy? Hello, Mandy.

02:43:43 - 02:43:43 | Speaker 2:

Hello.

02:43:44 - 02:43:45 | Speaker 6:

What's happening? It's Mojo on the Morning Show.

02:43:46 - 02:44:01 | Speaker 2:

Hi. So sometimes I call, and I want to get my son's information for him or my husband. And I just ask for it, and then they say, is this Robert? I'm like, yes, I know. People tell me I sound like a woman a lot. And then I get all the information I need.

02:44:01 - 02:44:05 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that's great. I just give it to you. What a way to do it.

02:44:05 - 02:44:08 | Speaker 2:

I just tell them, yeah, people do say I sound like a woman.

02:44:08 - 02:44:09 | Speaker 6:

That is awesome.

02:44:09 - 02:44:12 | Speaker 2:

And then they just feel stupid, and so they give me the information.

02:44:13 - 02:44:17 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. Good work on that. Thank you for the call. Take care of yourself.

02:44:17 - 02:44:31 | Speaker 5:

Side note about this person I was talking to named Charlie is, I don't know why it turns me on, but I find girls with guys' names hot. Like, I don't know if they're nicknames or real names, but I like I've met girls named Frankie or Max or Ryan. Ryan is a big one.

02:44:31 - 02:44:39 | Speaker 1:

What about guys with girl names? Is that equally as attractive? Are there any? Have you ever met a Mary that's a guy? No, no, no. I've met several Shannons, though. Morgan and Taylor.

02:44:40 - 02:44:45 | Speaker 5:

Maddie. Maddie. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Well, Shannon's a big boy's name in Ireland. In Ireland, yeah.

02:44:45 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the Morning Show 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 or text 95500 Can't do it in front of her parents

02:45:00 - 02:46:11 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. This is a girlfriend of mine. And actually, I'm not going to say her name because I don't want her mom to get upset with her. She's Chaldean. And I don't know. Do you drink at your parents' house, Lydia? Heck, yeah. I need you. I'm living with them. Okay. Oh, we love you, Simon. So I didn't know if this was a Chaldean thing. But her mom is very strict. She lives with her mom. And her mom doesn't drink and doesn't allow alcohol in the house. So my girlfriend actually just turned 30. And some days after work, she's like, all I want to do is open a bottle of wine and have, you know, a couple glasses of wine. So what she's been doing is she buys wine and she told me she either sneaks it in under her coat or if she's not wearing a coat, she puts it in her purse. She sneaks it up to her bedroom where she has a wine opener, locks the door, and then sits there and drinks her glasses of wine all so that she doesn't get in trouble with her mom. And this is an adult. She's literally just turned 30 years old. Isn't that hysterical? That is, well. But lives with her parents and, you know, that's mom's rule. She's breaking it behind the locked closed door of her bedroom.

02:46:11 - 02:46:21 | Speaker 3:

Isn't it funny? Because I bet you, well, they're talking about how many kids are moving back, like adult kids are moving back to their parents' houses. and I bet you that happens a lot with weed.

02:46:21 - 02:46:30 | Speaker 2:

Right, because there's still such a stigma for older generations because it's been illegal their whole life and they don't understand now you can buy it, purchase it.

02:46:30 - 02:47:11 | Speaker 3:

I walked by my son Jacob's room when he was back in for the holidays and I walked by the room and it's freezing and I can't figure out why it's so cold. It's wintertime. It's like, man, it's freezing. And I open up his door. He's got his window completely wide open, the screen off of it. he's hanging out the window and he's smoking a jay in his in his room and i'm like he wasn't doing it in the house well that was the thing because he knows in the reefer he knows that uh his brother joe has gotten in trouble numerous times you know because it's like listen we we know they're they're partaking but we don't want them smoking in the house you know especially with their little brother down the hall who's still illegal to be able to to do it but right she's like i feel

02:47:11 - 02:47:15 | Speaker 1:

like such a loser just drinking all by myself in my bedroom.

02:47:16 - 02:47:47 | Speaker 3:

I think that's wonderful. I think that what you need to do is you need to FaceTime her and do a group FaceTime with her and everybody drink together. Anybody do that? Anybody, you know, live or anybody have like a wine fridge in their room or a beer tap in the room? Like, we talked this week about country artist Carrie Underwood and how she has kind of a wild closet where she has a washer and dryer in her closet so she doesn't even have to carry stuff to a laundry room. I would love to have this little wine fridge like we have here.

02:47:47 - 02:48:03 | Speaker 2:

I had the beer shelf in my shower for when I want to have a shower beer. And then when I moved in the new house, somebody asked me, do you want us to put a beer fridge in your bathroom for showers? I go, how much of an alcoholic do you think I am? I don't need a beer fridge in my bathroom. And the answer is yes.

02:48:04 - 02:48:20 | Speaker 4:

It just reminds me of living in the sorority house because everybody, or a dorm where you can't have alcohol out, so you have to have the fridge in your room so you can keep it in plus people will steal it if it's out in like the main fridge area i don't know reminds me of college yeah well college in

02:48:20 - 02:49:11 | Speaker 5:

your parents house what's up maureen yeah i'm 41 i have to do this i my dad has been really sick so i've been like staying with my parents to help my mom uh and i can't come home even smelling like alcohol my mom will start sniffing because she doesn't drink and say brina have you been drinking and unfortunately i will have to say yes and the disappointment and i'm 41 it's terrible it's so embarrassing yeah and i've also gotten texts from messages of like when are you coming home um it's it's ridiculous at 41 so i completely empathize with your friend shannon because i will also hide I will go to bed at 7.30 in the morning, or 7.30 in the morning, 7.30 at night, just to get a couple of glasses of wine as well.

02:49:12 - 02:49:15 | Speaker 3:

That's so awesome, though, that you're doing that to take care of your dad, though.

02:49:16 - 02:49:19 | Speaker 5:

Well, I appreciate it. He had heart surgery, Mojo, so he, yeah.

02:49:20 - 02:49:22 | Speaker 3:

How far along is he right now in recovery?

02:49:24 - 02:49:40 | Speaker 5:

Well, he never really recovered. He coded when he was in, I'm sure. He coded when he was in the ICU And then had a frozen lung afterwards It's never been the same So he coded a new mojo We'll pray for him And that's why I have to drink

02:49:40 - 02:49:48 | Speaker 3:

That's bad It's tough to see your parents We'll say a prayer for him Thank you for the call What's up Casey

02:49:48 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 5:

I know you guys were hating on Fireball The other day But I used to hide Fireball in my freezer Because my mom came and lived with me for a year when I was getting a divorce

02:49:59 - 02:50:00 | Speaker 2:

and so

02:50:00 - 02:50:05 | Speaker 3:

yeah i would sneak that was she worried like after the divorce you're gonna turn towards the drink

02:50:05 - 02:50:48 | Speaker 6:

oh yeah well my mom is like a very christian woman yeah and um she's pure sunshine so i would hide it all the time and then she caught me one time sneaking it in my room she's like what is that i'm like oh medicine okay right and i'm like it's really good mom And she smelt it She's like Oh interesting And no joke About two weeks later She's like You think that's good In coffee? She like drinks Like hazelnut Like creamer With like a splash Of coffee Right So she's like Oh right I'll she put it in there And she does it Every so often When she wants to be like Risqué and naughty But oh it's hilarious

02:50:48 - 02:50:51 | Speaker 4:

That's great Thank you for the call I appreciate it

02:50:51 - 02:50:53 | Speaker 6:

Yeah have a good day

02:50:53 - 02:51:28 | Speaker 4:

Take care I feel like the last couple of callers are 40-year-old women, and they're like my teenage son. You know what I mean? I wonder if their parents go through their rooms and empty out bags to see bottles that are inside of there. I told, by the way, my favorite TikTok ever. I love this one so much. And I played it for my son the other day, and he got very offended when I played it for him. But it was my favorite TikTok of this guy. Hold on a second. I'll play it for you. Because this is perfect for having, if you have teenagers at home that are underage, stealing your alcohol. There it is.

02:51:28 - 02:51:39 | Speaker 1:

For all the parents out there that think your kids may be sneaking in your alcohol, and you know they're sneaking in your alcohol, here's all you got to do. Pour more stuff into something else, and then mix the remainder with laxative, and just sit back and wait.

02:51:42 - 02:51:49 | Speaker 4:

I told Luke, I said, that's going to happen to you. And he goes, knowing me, I'll drink the wrong one. I'll end up drinking the laxative one.

02:51:49 - 02:52:28 | Speaker 5:

uh what's going on donna hi hi so i i take gummies at night to sleep but i didn't have anymore so i figured i had a joint to smoke um but my son lives in the other room and my husband's downstairs so i opened up my window and i was smoking it out there and the when i was blowing it out the window it came around to the back and my son often i hear his door open and my husband come upstairs, and they're like, is that a skunk? What's wrong? I love it. I need to sleep, and I can't sleep. I don't have anywhere going.

02:52:28 - 02:52:30 | Speaker 4:

You got busted. You got busted by your kids.

02:52:31 - 02:52:45 | Speaker 5:

I got busted by my kids, yeah. That's awesome. He's in his 20s, though, so he knew that we used to do it or still do it, but it was like, I guess the fumes came around to the back of the windows.

02:52:45 - 02:53:05 | Speaker 4:

That is so funny. Where's the skunk? Thanks for the call. All right, top trending stories of the day. This one is kind of a funny one. One in three Americans have no idea when tax day 2023 is.

02:53:05 - 02:53:10 | Speaker 5:

Isn't it always the same day? Well, it moved this year. Yeah, I was going to say, like, the past three years, it's moved.

02:53:10 - 02:53:13 | Speaker 3:

When it falls on a weekend, it goes to the following Monday.

02:53:13 - 02:53:15 | Speaker 1:

I always just figure it's around April 15th.

02:53:15 - 02:53:19 | Speaker 5:

And then wasn't there a problem during one of the COVID years and they moved it?

02:53:19 - 02:53:32 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, they didn't have enough agents and they didn't have enough, like because of people not being able to get with their accountants, so they delayed it that one year. But it's never earlier. I mean, it's always, like Shannon said, 15th or soon after.

02:53:32 - 02:54:34 | Speaker 4:

A recent survey of tax procrastination found that the number one state that leaves their taxes to the last minute in 2023 is Wyoming, followed by Vermont, Alaska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Ohio procrastinates the least when it comes to filing for their taxes. Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, and Michigan round out the top five of early filers who do it. And tax day this year is on April 18th. However, one in five Americans are not aware of this. They did not know in this survey. The first day of the Supreme Court hearing the case of whether or not President Biden can help pay for your college loans happened yesterday. And many are speculating that the mainly conservative Supreme Court is going to rule against President Biden giving money. Here were a couple of the justices that were speaking yesterday. Justice Roberts.

02:54:34 - 02:54:49 | Speaker 2:

I think most casual observers would say if you're going to give up that much amount of money, if you're going to affect the obligations of that many Americans on a subject that's of great controversy, they would think that's something for Congress to act on.

02:54:49 - 02:54:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's the thing that they're saying. They're saying that President Biden went well past his reach as a president and not taking it to Congress to to.

02:55:00 - 02:55:15 | Speaker 5:

hold a vote on it. This is Justice Sotomayor. There's 50 million students who will benefit from this, who today will struggle. They don't have friends or families or others who can

02:55:15 - 02:55:54 | Speaker 7:

help them make these payments. The decision's not going to be in until June, they're saying now. So they're saying that it won't get enacted by June, but the decision won't be in until June unless somebody leaks it which probably will happen this was a big thing yesterday Congress was having a hearing about all the fentanyl that has come to the United States through the border and they had there was a mom that has gone viral for her plea to lawmakers and to the White House to do something about this she was a mom who lost her child to fentanyl poisoning

02:55:54 - 02:56:03 | Speaker 4:

If we had weapons aimed at our people with weapons of mass destruction aimed at our cities, you damn well know you would do something about it.

02:56:03 - 02:56:14 | Speaker 3:

You talk about children being taken away from their parents. My children were taken away from me. This is a war. Act like it. Do something.

02:56:15 - 02:57:16 | Speaker 7:

It was pretty bipartisan, actually. You know, that mom's from Rochester Hills. Really? Is she really? What's her name? Rebecca Kiesling. She lost her child to fentanyl poisoning. Two sons, I believe. And ready for this one? Many of the cases where there's a child that gets deemed to be an overdose is a child that takes one pill. So they're saying that one pill that is tainted with fentanyl and these kids will end up dying. And it's typically usually like a friend or somebody that gives it to them. And in a lot of cases, they're saying it's fake Adderall that's being the cause of this fentanyl poisoning. Very scary. We talked about this yesterday, but I got finally it coming out of the mouth of the head of the FBI. The FBI director did an interview yesterday, Christopher Wray, confirming that the agency's belief is that COVID came from a lab in China.

02:57:16 - 02:57:28 | Speaker 6:

The energy study that says it's likely to have come from a lab leak, although the confidence low, it cites the FBI. What is the determination by the FBI?

So, as you note, Brett, the FBI has for quite some time now assessed that the origins of the pandemic are most likely a potential lab incident in Wuhan. Let me step back for a second. You know, the FBI has folks, agents, professionals, analysts, virologists, microbiologists, etc., who focus specifically on the dangers of biological threats, which include things like novel viruses like COVID, and the concerns that in the wrong hands, some bad guys, a hostile nation state, a terrorist, a criminal, the threats that those could pose. So here you're talking about a potential leak from a Chinese government-controlled lab that killed millions of Americans, and that's precisely what that capability was designed for. I should add that our work related to this continues, and there are not a whole lot of details I can share that aren't classified. I will just make the observation that the Chinese government, it seems to me, has been doing its best to try to thwart and obfuscate the work here, the work that we're doing, the work that our U.S. government and close foreign partners are doing, and that's unfortunate for everybody.

02:58:51 - 02:59:33 | Speaker 7:

Now, that was yesterday evening. That interview happened. Jon Stewart did an interview. Do you guys remember when Jon Stewart went on with Stephen Colbert And he actually did a whole bit joke about that, about that coming from the lab. And he talked about the, what did he call it, the pangolin and all that stuff. He did like the funny joke and stuff like that. And then after it happened, people tried to cancel Jon Stewart. They were upset with him for saying that that happened. Because if you said that it came from a lab, that was considered to be wrong information. Well, Jon Stewart reacted to now the FBI saying that COVID came from a lab.

02:59:33 - 02:59:47 | Speaker 1:

The Department of Energy came out with a report saying that they have, they said low confidence, but that the COVID-19 was a result of a lab leak.

02:59:48 - 02:59:51 | Speaker 6:

Are you trying to get me canceled again?

02:59:52 - 02:59:56 | Speaker 1:

I know. I've gotten so many texts being like, is John gloated? Do you feel vindicated?

02:59:57 - 02:59:58 | Speaker 6:

No, there is no.

03:00:00 - 03:00:55 | Speaker 1:

First of all, I wasn't waiting for the Department of Energy to wait. You were refreshing the Department of Energy feed. What is the Department of Energy? With low confidence. It's not about certainty or the larger problem with all of this is the inability to discuss things that are within the realm of possibility without falling into absolutes and litmus testing each other for our political allegiances as it arose from that my bigger problem with with that was I thought it was a pretty good bit that expressed kind of how I felt and the two things that came out of it were I'm racist against Asian people and how dare I align myself with the alt-right um and finally a story that I think is

03:00:55 - 03:01:42 | Speaker 2:

like heartwarming and beautiful that uh sometimes doesn't get talked about enough you know you hear stories about going above and beyond the call of duty well a sterling heights police officer did just that when Brianna Fantosi, is it Fantosi I believe it is, a nice Irish name Fantosi, actually no she's not, she's got to be Italian, right? Brianna Fantosi Brianna Fantosi got into a car accident on Metro Parkway and Dodge Park Road Sterling Heights Police came to the scene, she was a DoorDash driver and she was less concerned about herself and more concerned about not getting a bad rating on DoorDash by not delivering the food and everything that she had to deliver.

03:01:42 - 03:03:14 | Speaker 3:

It's a special delivery. This DoorDash driver, who is six months pregnant, has just been in an accident on her way to deliver groceries and a steak dinner. And when cops get there, she asks them a very big favor. I have DoorDash stuff in the car. Is there any way that you guys can deliver that to me? 23-year-old Brianna Fantosi was okay, so was her 2-year-old daughter, who was in a car seat in the back. Yeah, sure, I'll take it for you. What's the address? I hope they give you a good review. How much do we got in here? The answer? A lot. Here, I'll take that. I just feel so bad. The tow truck driver is going to have to wait until the groceries are transferred from one car to the police vehicle. Listen to what the officer tells dispatch. They got a DoorDash that's got to go. So we're going to take it for you. Off he goes, arriving at the DoorDash customer's home outside Detroit with a patrol car filled with her order. Could you imagine? Including Minute Maid Juice. Brianna had sent a text to her explaining she's been in an accident. Hi, I got your DoorDash. I'm not sure if you saw what happened. I did not. I'm wondering why the police are delivering your DoorDash. Yeah, she told me that. She got in the accident. And the officer wanted to make one thing clear. I don't take responsibility if any of this is inaccurate. No, I understand. So what? Yeah, no problem. All in a day's work. I hope they give you a good review.

03:03:15 - 03:03:51 | Speaker 2:

How great is that? Did he eat some fries like everybody else? I don't know. That's amazing. Now, I looked at the story, and I didn't get the officer's name, but that officer is great for doing what he did. But it was Sterling Heights Police. Okay, so real quick, I want to mention this because I guess I'm going to be maybe hosting this thing. I just wanted to go to it, and you'll probably wonder why I'd want to go to it, but I asked, hey, do we have any tickets? Next thing you know, I've got our sales rep asking me to host the damn thing.
