00:04:56 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 9:

Welcome to the Mojo in the morning show Hello

00:05:00 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 2:

Good to guys have a good, oh boy, it's going to be one of those days.

00:05:02 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 3:

It's going to be such a fun show.

00:05:04 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 2:

Three hours sleep. Went to Canada last night to go to the I Love the 90s tour concert with Misfit Victor and J.E. and ran into so many listeners. I will say this to you. I took more pictures last night than I did at our Jingle Ball. It was just unbelievable how many people were there. and I'm going to shout out hello Windsor hello there can they understand what I'm saying hello there Canada

00:05:37 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 1:

does the air smell different there because Wes swears when he crosses the border into his homeland the air smells different it smells sweeter that's what he always says

00:05:46 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 2:

well I didn't know that for some reason I got a hinge a little bit of a hint of something tangy I don't know what it was it could be hey now I will say this, that I won money too. Did you? Yeah. So I took out $400 out of the ATM there, Canadian transfer, and this was kind of nice. Because of the exchange rate, it was only like $300 and something. And then I won another, what, $500 I think I won? I won five, no, more than that, $700. I won $700. What were you playing? Blackjack. Nice. Hold on. Pound my money. What did they say? You never pound your money?

00:06:34 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 1:

Cold hard cash.

00:06:35 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 3:

He's getting it out of his coat pocket. Ready?

00:06:38 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 2:

Look at this. Undies. Oh, my gosh. Fan that flame, baby, right there.

00:06:42 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 3:

Don't leave the room to go to the bathroom today. Look at that.

00:06:45 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 2:

You didn't put it back into the machines. No, I actually took it, and then I went up to the table, or went up to the countertop, or the cashier, and she was a huge listener, and I wish I could remember her name, but she was really, really nice. She named her dog Mojo. How crazy is that? And she had informed me that I couldn't get it in American dollars unless I signed up for one of their cards. So now I'm a gold member at the Caesars-Windsor Casino. So I may go back more often. I'm going to tell you this. I've never been there. Is it a nice casino? Beautiful. It actually reminds me. Don't get offended with me, any of the local casinos. It reminds me more of Vegas than our local casinos do because they don't allow smoking. When I go to the local ones, I feel like I get covered in smoke. And every table at the local casinos are all $25 minimum tables. And I'm not that kind of a gambler. Even though I won this money, I like to gamble $5, $10 and stuff like that at hand. And that's like the max. I go downtown Vegas if I'm going to Vegas because that's where you can have more fun. Long story short, I felt very Vegas-y, except for one thing. They don't have a buffet. How can you not have a buffet at a casino? They got rid of it because of COVID. And I said, you know, come on. Why do you guys not have a buffet? And they blamed it on Justin Trudeau. By the way, there was a funny. I knew I hates buffets. When I walked into the casino, there was a lot of people from Windsor, Ontario, so they had Ontario plates. And there's a ton of people that have bumper stickers, and they had a bunch of F. Trudeau. I guess they don't like Trudeau over there or something. But long story short, I keep saying long story short. It's still a long story.

00:08:42 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 3:

He had three hours sleep.

00:08:43 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 2:

I won money and I got to see all the people that I grew up with because I grew up, you know, with 90s music like Vanilla Ice and all for one. I was so disappointed that the poor guys did not age well.

00:08:57 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no.

00:08:58 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 2:

Their voices did not age well. Oh, no. You know who the best was out of everybody there? And you may know the songs if you hear them, but Rob Bass was amazing. Rob Bass.

00:09:10 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 3:

Rob Bass and DJ EZ Rock. Well, DJ EZ Rock died. Oh, really? He died, I found out, last night. Wait, he didn't die last night, though. No, no. I guess he's dead.

00:09:19 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 2:

It takes one? It takes one to make a thing go.

00:09:23 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I'm sorry.

00:09:24 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 2:

But it was really bad, but it was funny. They did joy and pain. It was great. Like sunshine and rain. And then they did, what's the, the roof, the roof, the roof is on fire.

00:09:38 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 1:

I always wonder how they maintain their voices throughout, like, after you hit it, like, big like that even like the backstreet boys one of the guys voices were out during the whole thing and how do you maintain that for years and years yeah it's got to be tough you know what's amazing

00:09:50 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

it made me realize how good the back uh backstreet boys are right because the backstreet boys did our jingle ball and they still all sound amazing but i think you know what it is they

00:10:00 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 1:

never stopped touring and they never stopped working so they always were working on their voices and they say it's like working out it's like exercise if you don't if you stop you're gonna you're gonna turn to a fat tub of goo you know and their voices turn to a fat tub of goo how was vanilla ice vanilla ice was unreal first off mike you ready for this one i'm gonna see if i have this thing i'm gonna send this to you guys in the group chat okay uh mike is a i know mike is a huge fan of this, so you will love this. Let me go through my... I'm one of those guys that takes videos at a concert. Oh, here it is, Mike. Ready, ready? Hold on. Anticipation is killing me. Ready?

00:10:47 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, the Ninja Turtle song!

00:10:50 - 00:10:59 | Speaker 1:

And, ready for this, Mike? The Ninja Turtle was on stage during the whole thing. Special guest, the Ninja Turtle on stage with Vanilla Ice.

00:10:59 - 00:11:00 | Speaker 4:

I'm so annoyed by this whole conversation.

00:11:00 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 1:

Why?

00:11:01 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 4:

Because I literally had the same excitement and all you did was crap on me for 20 minutes. And I told you about the Ninja Turtle and I told you that's why my brother went. Yadda yadda. And all of you are like, who cares? But now, now it's a mojo story. So everybody cares.

00:11:22 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 1:

This is like the old school 80s Ninja Turtles. It is. Or 90s or whatever. Yeah, totally.

00:11:27 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 4:

I have a question for you, though, because I appreciated this about Vanilla Ice when I saw him was that he did all of his hits first.

00:11:41 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

00:11:42 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 4:

So you can leave? All of them first. How do you do anything other than hits, though, at a show like this? Well, he'll do his EDM album. Oh, really? Oh, yeah. He does his EDM album? Oh, see? Oh, no.

00:11:55 - 00:11:57 | Speaker 3:

When everybody goes to the bar?

00:11:57 - 00:12:29 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so he does He did Play That Funky Music He did Go Ninja Go Or the Ninja Song And then he did Ice Ice Baby And then, like, we're out of here I was like, as fast as I possibly could I'm getting to the parking garage I gotta cross the border And then we ran into The border people were really nice Fans, so it was cool They let us go So they were kind of like, oh, they looked at our cars At first it looked a little shady, you know They're like, oh, look at you guys. What's going on now?

00:12:29 - 00:12:32 | Speaker 4:

You guys do look shady. Three guys go into an I Love the 90s concert.

00:12:32 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 1:

It did look kind of shady. I actually was kind of embarrassed to even say I was going, but yeah. Tunnel or bridge? We did tunnel.

00:12:40 - 00:12:41 | Speaker 4:

That scares the crap out of me.

00:12:41 - 00:12:57 | Speaker 1:

Me too. Yeah, me too. I always think that the water is going to like, there's going to be a leak. I look for leaks all over the place. And because it's wintertime, you have lots of cars that have ice and things on them. So I keep thinking that the wet street means That somebody's, it's leaking

00:12:57 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 3:

And was that built like 95 years ago Oh my god

00:13:01 - 00:13:22 | Speaker 1:

Victor told me about this, he said watch the YouTube Of how it was built, I couldn't fall asleep last night So I turned it on, if you watch the YouTube Of how they built that thing Yee, yeah So it was kind of, the whole time though I'm like faster, drive faster, drive faster Alright, we got a lot of I was going to say a lot of spit We got a lot of stuff to get to

00:13:22 - 00:13:30 | Speaker 3:

How smart are you? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events and you tell us what year it happened.

00:13:30 - 00:13:42 | Speaker 1:

This was the year that Law & Order aired its final episode after being on the air for 20 years. Taylor Swift won her first Grammy in this year.

00:13:42 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 4:

This is my first Grammy, you guys.

00:13:46 - 00:13:56 | Speaker 1:

And the big song from Nelly, Just a Dream. What year was that?

00:13:57 - 00:14:02 | Speaker 2:

Call us and tell us what year that stuff happened. 844-MOJO-LIVE.

844-665-6548.

00:14:07 - 00:14:10 | Speaker 2:

Snaffling. When you laugh so hard, you snort.

00:14:11 - 00:14:13 | Speaker 3:

You might do that at Spike's Foam's camp.

00:14:13 - 00:14:19 | Speaker 2:

It's this morning at 6.50 on Mojo in the Morning. It's Mojo in the Morning's Back in the Day. What year was this?

00:14:19 - 00:14:32 | Speaker 1:

It was the year that Law & Order, after 20 seasons, called it quits. Taylor Swift won her first Grammy.

00:14:32 - 00:14:34 | Speaker 4:

This is my first Grammy, you guys.

00:14:36 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 1:

And Nelly had the big song on the radio. What year was that? Mike, let's go to you. What year was that? I might go apologize, Mike. I picked up the wrong line. How you doing, Mike? Good, yourself? Fantastic, buddy. What year was that? 2010. There you go. Congratulations. Mike, we're going to set you up with...

00:15:00 - 00:15:07 | Speaker 4:

00:15:09 - 00:15:09 | Unknown:

Thank you.

00:15:10 - 00:15:14 | Speaker 4:

Where are you? What city are you in? I'm going to tell you how much snow you're going to get.

00:15:14 - 00:15:16 | Speaker 2:

No, Westland. I'm getting too much.

00:15:16 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, you're getting six to nine. Six to nine, buddy. They say that the heavy stuff will start at 5 o'clock, but it's going to start snowing like 1 o'clock this afternoon. Yeah, it was raining before that. Yes.

00:15:30 - 00:15:32 | Speaker 2:

The rain's going to start around 10, 30, 11 a.m.

00:15:32 - 00:15:43 | Speaker 4:

Be safe. And for people like Megan, who, you know, love winter, they're getting, like, rain. So you're not even going to get, like, a big snowfall, Megan, unless this thing changes.

00:15:43 - 00:15:43 | Speaker 5:

But I'm going to be in Royal Oak tonight.

00:15:43 - 00:15:47 | Speaker 4:

Oh, are you really? I am. For the fun and excitement of something?

00:15:48 - 00:15:57 | Speaker 5:

So, Sasha Colby from RuPaul's Drag Race is performing in Royal Oak tonight, along with Steven, and I'm going to be going to watch after the Drag Race airs.

00:15:57 - 00:16:01 | Speaker 4:

Will you pick up Sasha in your Jeep Wrangler so that Sasha is able to get there?

00:16:02 - 00:16:05 | Speaker 5:

If she's listening, I'm more than willing to take you to the gig tonight. You should.

00:16:06 - 00:16:26 | Speaker 4:

You might have to, by the way. Could you imagine? Sasha doesn't show up because of that. We're going to give you a chance to win Taylor Swift tickets when it's nice and warm in June. Text Taylor to 95500 and you can win. Text Taylor to 95500. Standard text and data rates do apply. Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30. Hey, Shannon. What do you got in this hour's dirty?

00:16:27 - 00:16:43 | Speaker 2:

The New York City nightclub sound engineer, who Travis Scott allegedly attacked this week, Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, I think this was in the middle of the night, but he says that Travis gave him the good old middle finger and punched him in the head, landing him in the hospital with injuries.

00:16:43 - 00:17:06 | Speaker 1:

I was trying to tell him to lower it so it sounded good for the performance, but he just stuck his middle finger in my face, so I lowered the monitor a little bit so I could talk to him, And that's when he ran around the speaker and attacked me. Obviously, my neck is f***ed up. Your neck, your arm, what's happening with your arm? Oh, my arm is tingly, I have pins and needles going down it.

00:17:07 - 00:18:28 | Speaker 2:

Allegedly, there are also reports that Travis Scott caused like $12,000 worth of damage to a speaker and a video screen before leaving the nightclub that night. Avril Lavigne is fueling those rumors that she's dating Tyga after the two were spotted arriving together at Leo DiCaprio's Fashion Week party in Paris this week. Catching you up here. Avril was engaged to rapper Maude's son. They broke up at the end of last month, but here's where it gets sticky. A rep for Maude's son said the breakup was a total shock to him because the two were still together when he left to go on tour recently. He thought everything was fine. They were still getting married. And then he starts to see paparazzi photos of his fiance with Tyga. And he's like, what the heck is going on? And then all of a sudden, they're not together. He posted on Instagram this week. In one week, my entire life completely changed. I just know there's a plan for it all. I'll keep my head up and always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken. Kelsey Ballerini and Chase Stokes have gone public as a couple. They were at the New York Rangers game last night. The country music star and Outer Banks actor were in the stands as they watched the home team take on the Ottawa Senators. They were smooching on camera, lots of PDA, so that is confirmed. And another country singer in the Dirty this morning, Morgan Wallen, reflecting on what really matters to him in life.

00:18:29 - 00:18:51 | Speaker 3:

There's a lot of times in this life that I live that you can easily get caught up in all the hoopla and all the b**** that comes with it. But for me, I just feel like I've learned what really makes me happy. And I've learned how much I love, you know, just to being a normal guy, a dad. I've learned how much I love to be in nature. I've learned just things that make me happy, truly.

00:18:51 - 00:18:58 | Speaker 2:

Speaking of being a dad, he said his toddler son, Indigo, has a passion for percussion. And so he wants to bring him on the road at some point this year.

00:18:59 - 00:19:14 | Speaker 3:

I feel like he's getting to the point where he's old enough. Last tour, he was still a little young and probably wouldn't even have any clue what's going on. But I think now he's getting to the point to where he will see what's happening. And I definitely want him. I'd take him everywhere. I win if I could.

00:19:15 - 00:19:20 | Speaker 2:

For all of today's Dirty, check out that Dirty page on NoDoneTheMorning.com. Not so fast. What?

00:19:21 - 00:19:42 | Speaker 4:

You're playing against Holly today. I know. Yeah. So this morning's 5 at 6.55 is a special one. It's how it started. It started with Smarter Than Shannon where she would take on a listener every morning And then it got old because she like was, you know, I don't know what were you, like 5,000 wins to like two losses or something like that.

00:19:42 - 00:19:45 | Speaker 5:

That's really nice. I think it was something like that.

00:19:46 - 00:19:55 | Speaker 4:

I think it was a 1,000,000,000,000. Well, this morning, how good is Holly? We'll see if she can beat Shannon, the ultimate champion, in moments.

00:19:56 - 00:20:18 | Speaker 2:

Holly, she's shaking in her boots right now.

00:20:26 - 00:20:27 | Speaker 2:

I'm okay.

00:20:27 - 00:20:41 | Speaker 3:

She's a little nervous. I'm not wearing boots, but I'm shaking in my... She's shaking in her. My slides. Which one? Your slides? You're wearing slides today? Well, I don't know. What do they got? Yeah. Wait. Hold on. You can't wear those. We're getting snow today.

00:20:41 - 00:20:43 | Speaker 1:

We're not getting snow. We're not getting snow while we're here.

00:20:43 - 00:20:44 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:20:44 - 00:20:45 | Speaker 1:

I don't think so.

00:20:45 - 00:20:47 | Speaker 3:

She, by the way, is very competitive.

00:20:47 - 00:20:49 | Speaker 1:

I will F you up, bitch!

00:20:49 - 00:20:52 | Speaker 3:

So, get ready. We're going to play right after the scam, okay?

00:20:53 - 00:20:54 | Speaker 4:

All right. Okay. Good luck.

00:20:54 - 00:21:10 | Speaker 3:

All right, will Holly, who has already done 15 wins in a row, will she beat Shannon? We'll find out. Caroline got phone scammed by Spike. Caroline's sister told us that she does yoga naked in her house, and Spike called her up for a phone scam.

00:21:10 - 00:21:20 | Speaker 5:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scams. Mojo in the morning.

00:21:23 - 00:21:52 | Speaker 1:

Hello? hey how you doing is this caroline yes it is hi marty uconn from the leasing office i'd like to speak with you for a second about your recent behavior excuse me you're gonna make me spell it out what you're doing in your apartment there what are you talking about doing yoga half naked in the window i'm not half naked have you done yoga in the window flaunting your goods around we have

00:21:52 - 00:21:58 | Speaker 4:

two neighbors complaining uh yeah i do yoga but it's what neighbors because i don't see any

00:21:58 - 00:22:08 | Speaker 1:

neighbors when i'm doing my yoga it's not up to us to expose which people did complain all we know is they saw your business when they were walking by and i'd like to address what you're not wearing

00:22:08 - 00:22:14 | Speaker 4:

in fact i like what you need is a dress i'm in my own apartment and i can wear whatever i want

00:22:14 - 00:22:31 | Speaker 1:

well they said you weren't wearing nothing when they walked by they saw you maybe you were topless or the top you were wearing is the size of two iPhones covering your hoo-hahs and the bottom was like a Kleenex. I mean, this is exactly what we're talking about where you can't be exposing yourself to neighbors. This is an apartment community.

00:22:32 - 00:22:40 | Speaker 4:

Look, if I want to wear underwear while I am working out, I can wear underwear. In August, there's people wearing less than what I do and they're at the pool running around.

00:22:40 - 00:22:48 | Speaker 1:

Well, maybe you should read Section 3852724299B about the community guidelines and expectation for tenants.

00:22:48 - 00:22:50 | Speaker 4:

And what does that say?

00:22:50 - 00:23:07 | Speaker 1:

Well, I don't have it in front of me, but it says you shouldn't be dancing around naked like a stripper showing your goods, you hussy. I'm on the end unit, so I'm not sure who's looking at me. Well, I was in the bushes, and it took me time to look for the infractions and see what people are complaining about, and I could see how little you're wearing.

00:23:08 - 00:23:09 | Speaker 4:

You're looking at me?

00:23:10 - 00:23:21 | Speaker 1:

Well, I wish I didn't have to, but I had to see what everybody was complaining about, and let me tell you, I wish I wasn't there. They weren't joking. and you need to put on some clothes and stop doing the downward dog in front of your picture window.

00:23:22 - 00:23:24 | Speaker 4:

My brother's a lawyer, and you have no idea what you're in for.

00:23:25 - 00:23:43 | Speaker 1:

Oh, the old brother's a lawyer. Well, my brother's a pimp. Maybe you'd like his phone number for a job. Are you kidding me? No, listen, you got a nice body. I'm not trying to insult you. I just need you to put some clothes on. Maybe we could talk about it over a nice raspberry iced tea spritzer, you know? Maybe we could be friends and play some pickleball after all this.

00:23:44 - 00:23:47 | Speaker 4:

You're a sick individual, and you're going to be in jail when my brother gets involved.

00:23:47 - 00:24:01 | Speaker 1:

Okay, well, what about once Mojo in the Morning gets in vibe? Your sister, Colleen, told us to phone scam you. This is Spike, and you've just been the victim of a phone scam, Caroline. Oh, my gosh. You're on the radio with us right now.

00:24:01 - 00:24:04 | Speaker 4:

I was like, there's no way people can see me.

00:24:04 - 00:24:07 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so you do admit you've been doing naked yoga.

00:24:08 - 00:24:11 | Speaker 4:

I mean, I'm topless sometimes, but maybe once or twice.

00:24:12 - 00:24:14 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, well, you know, clothes are too restricting, right?

00:24:15 - 00:24:15 | Speaker 4:

Exactly.

00:24:17 - 00:24:33 | Speaker 5:

We will, we will scam you. You're home with the phone scams. The world famous. This is Mojo in the Morning. It's Mojo in the Morning's 5 at 6.55.

00:24:33 - 00:25:00 | Speaker 3:

5 at 6.55, yo, 5 at 6.55, yo, now. It is time now to bring 15-time champion Holly back with us to take on the ultimate champion, Shannon, in a game of smarter than Shannon. Congratulations, first off, to Holly for 15. That ain't no, you know...

00:25:00 - 00:25:07 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to tell you that there, Holly. Great job. Was it a nice celebration last night? Did you eat a big old juicy steak and a baked potato?

00:25:08 - 00:25:22 | Speaker 3:

I didn't get a steak or baked potato, but some of my teacher friends bought me a cake and put big 1-5 candles on it. I love it. That's amazing. That's cute. All the kids thought I was turning 15, so that was an additional compliment. So it was great.

00:25:23 - 00:25:38 | Speaker 1:

That's awesome. All right, Holly, you have to know that you're going to go first. You haven't done that since the first time that you played. Shannon's the ultimate champion. So, you know, there's a tie. Tie goes to Shannon. Will you ask Shannon to leave the studio so I can ask the questions to you first?

00:25:40 - 00:25:42 | Speaker 3:

Shannon, please leave the studio. Good luck.

00:25:42 - 00:26:09 | Speaker 1:

She's so nice. The other people always are like, Shannon, get your ass out of the studio. All right. Give her a moment to be further. She'd be good now. She'd be further down the hall. All right. Perfect. Here we go. Question number one, Holly. Alex Murdoch has been found guilty of murdering his wife and son after the jury spent less than three hours deliberating. What state did the murders and the case take place in?

00:26:10 - 00:26:11 | Speaker 3:

South Carolina.

00:26:11 - 00:26:23 | Speaker 1:

Question number two. The Detroit Red Wings traded fan favorite Tyler Bertuzzi to the Boston Bruins yesterday. True or false, Bertuzzi's dad, Todd Bertuzzi, once played for the Wings.

00:26:24 - 00:26:25 | Unknown:

True.

00:26:25 - 00:26:49 | Speaker 1:

Question number three, rapper Travis Scott is under fire for yet another incident that unfolded just minutes before he allegedly punched a sound engineer in the face. Now he's accused of tossing a fan's phone. Travis isn't his real name. It's actually A, Theo, B, Jacques, or C, Terrence.

00:26:50 - 00:26:51 | Speaker 2:

B, Jacques.

00:26:51 - 00:27:04 | Speaker 1:

Question number four, actor Bruce Willis was publicly seen for the first time after his family revealed that he was diagnosed with a form of dementia. What was his character's name in the Die Hard movies?

00:27:06 - 00:27:10 | Speaker 2:

I don't know this. I'll just say John. No, that's not the right one. Never mind.

00:27:10 - 00:27:11 | Speaker 1:

You want to just say John?

00:27:12 - 00:27:13 | Speaker 2:

We'll just say John.

00:27:13 - 00:27:49 | Speaker 1:

All right. And question number five, which of these songs is the current number one song in the U.S. on the Billboard Hot 100 charts? Is it A, Miley Cyrus Flowers, B, SZA Kill Bill, or C, Metro Boomin', The Weekend, and 21 Savage Creepin'? Let's go with A, Flowers. Let's scream for Shannon to come back. Shannon! Scream for her. Shannon! Shannon! Shannon. Actually, KP just, KP asked, did KP also do earmuffs over you so you couldn't?

00:27:49 - 00:27:54 | Speaker 3:

No, well, I didn't come out until I was. You were getting coffee, yeah, she can't hear in the break room.

00:27:55 - 00:28:26 | Speaker 1:

How did she do? Holly got four out of five. Oh. So that means, Shannon, you have to be near perfect in order to win today. You can get a four out of five because you can win with a tie, all right? Question number one. I don't think it should be too hard for you. Alex Murdoch has been found guilty of murdering his wife and son after the jury spent less than three hours deliberating. What state did the murders and case take place in?

00:28:26 - 00:28:28 | Speaker 3:

South Carolina. Yes, scores one to one.

00:28:29 - 00:28:57 | Speaker 1:

Question number two. You might have a problem with this one. It's a sports question. The Detroit Red Wings traded fan favorite Tyler Bertuzzi to the Boston Bruins. True or false, Bertuzzi's dad, Todd Bertuzzi, once played for the wings true is it his uncle uncle both you guys both got that wrong we're still tied question number three you might have trouble with it's a rapper question if you do

00:28:57 - 00:29:04 | Speaker 3:

have trouble with this holly wins holly wins look at the spit eating grin on your face i wrote these

00:29:04 - 00:29:33 | Speaker 1:

questions this morning with only three hours sleep question number three rapper travis scott is under fire for yet again another incident that unfolded just minutes before he allegedly punched a sound engineer in the face. Now he's accused of tossing a fan's phone. Travis isn't his real name. It's actually, and I'll give you a multiple choice, A, Theo, B, Jacques, or C, Terrence?

00:29:33 - 00:29:34 | Speaker 3:

Jacques.

00:29:35 - 00:29:37 | Speaker 1:

Correct! Was that a guess?

00:29:37 - 00:29:41 | Speaker 3:

No, because that was the rumored name that the baby was for a while.

00:29:41 - 00:29:44 | Speaker 1:

after his death. You might have trouble with this next one, too.

00:29:44 - 00:29:48 | Speaker 3:

Okay, what is happening? He really stacks the deck against you. I mean, really.

00:29:48 - 00:29:50 | Speaker 1:

And Holly guessed and got it right.

00:29:50 - 00:29:51 | Speaker 3:

Oh, geez. Okay.

00:29:51 - 00:30:00 | Speaker 1:

Question number four. Actor Bruce Willis was publicly seen for the first time after his family revealed that he was diagnosed with a cancer.

00:30:00 - 00:30:04 | Speaker 2:

with a form of dementia. What was his character's name in the Die Hard movies?

00:30:04 - 00:30:15 | Speaker 3:

I've never seen Die Hard, John. Yeah! Wow, that was a guess too! Oh my God! What is it, John what?

00:30:15 - 00:30:20 | Speaker 2:

It's John McClane. Guess what? You got one more question right.

00:30:20 - 00:30:21 | Speaker 3:

Pits are sweating.

00:30:21 - 00:30:31 | Speaker 2:

And you gotta get this right. If you do, you are, well you already have I think, because you got four, right? She's got four, so she wins with a tie. No, I got the second question wrong, remember.

00:30:31 - 00:30:32 | Speaker 3:

I have to get this right.

00:30:32 - 00:30:33 | Speaker 2:

Got to get it right. Hold on.

00:30:34 - 00:30:34 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:30:35 - 00:30:58 | Speaker 2:

And it's not an easy one. Oh. Question number five. Which of these songs is the current number one song in the U.S. on the Billboard Hot 100 charts? Is it A, Miley Cyrus Flowers, B, SZA Kill Bill, or C, Metro Boomin' The Weekend and 21 Savage Creepin'?

00:30:58 - 00:31:04 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I don't know. Oh, shoot. Good luck. I'm going to say B.

00:31:06 - 00:31:16 | Speaker 2:

You lost. Oh, no. Was it Miley? It's Miley Cyrus Flowers. We have an ultimate champion. Congratulations.

00:31:16 - 00:31:17 | Speaker 3:

Wow.

00:31:17 - 00:31:18 | Speaker 2:

Thank you.

00:31:19 - 00:31:25 | Speaker 1:

This was a battle of the guesses today because there was a few on each side that I think they were taking a stab at in the dark. Yeah.

00:31:26 - 00:31:31 | Speaker 2:

That rarely happens, Holly. I want you to know that. Shannon is very good at this.

00:31:32 - 00:31:33 | Speaker 3:

Those were tough.

00:31:33 - 00:31:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. There's some tough ones here.

00:31:36 - 00:31:37 | Speaker 3:

Dickhead.

00:31:37 - 00:31:38 | Speaker 2:

Wait. Yes.

00:31:39 - 00:31:40 | Speaker 3:

Dickhead. You get it live.

00:31:41 - 00:31:43 | Speaker 2:

Congratulations. That was big.

00:31:43 - 00:31:44 | Speaker 3:

It's this big.

00:31:45 - 00:31:52 | Speaker 2:

Holly, congratulations to you. Nice job. We're going to set you up. I hope that you like them. We're going to give you some John Mayer concert tickets. Congratulations.

00:31:53 - 00:31:54 | Unknown:

Thank you.

00:31:54 - 00:32:15 | Speaker 2:

That's awesome. Enjoy that. That's courtesy of KP and Lydia. They're going to give it to you because they're going to give you all the details on that. So nice to talk to you. So nice to get a chance to get you on here with us. Be back with you in the Tournament of Champions if we ever decide to do it. Please listen still at 6.55, okay?

00:32:16 - 00:32:18 | Speaker 1:

00:32:18 - 00:32:21 | Speaker 2:

Two new contestants on Monday. Two new. So make sure that you're listening.

00:32:22 - 00:32:24 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the mornings 5 at 6.55.

00:32:25 - 00:33:01 | Speaker 2:

mojo in the morning phone number is 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 text 95500 and i know it's been far removed from christmas but shannon and her fiance that little sucker was a mess let's just put it this way he lied to you

00:33:01 - 00:33:17 | Speaker 3:

well I thought of you because you always say that sneaky SOB and yesterday after I found this out all I could think of was you going that sneaky SOB I wanted to say that to him but he wouldn't get it you just saying it so I can play it

00:33:17 - 00:33:19 | Speaker 2:

and I love Wes by the way so I want

00:33:19 - 00:34:49 | Speaker 3:

to know exactly how this guy was a sneaky little sob so for christmas i i may have told this story during a podcast or something but for christmas we did not do gifts because we were saving money to go to paris for my birthday so we said no gifts we're just going to put all of our money towards that and like treat ourselves when we're there which we all know what happened on that yeah trip yeah he needed to save money because he had just bought a ring um which i did not know but so we did stockings and i kind of cheated a little bit i got him a what i considered a good gift for his stocking. And that was tickets to see the Book of Mormon, the musical when it comes to Detroit. And the reason that I did that was because I can remember from when we first started dating him saying, I've never been to a musical, and I love musicals. And so I thought, oh, that would be like a cool date night for us. Well, right before he opens his stocking, again, back in December, and I can't even remember what we were talking about, but he casually mentions, I've never been to a musical because I hate musicals. I don't think I would ever, ever go to a musical. And I'm thinking, great, because you're about to open tickets to see the Book of Mormon, okay? So fast forward to last night, and we have to go over our calendars and try to coordinate when we're actually going to get to spend time together. Because he's a dad of two, and he's a coach, and he's crazy busy with work, and obviously we're crazy busy. So we're going over our calendar for this month. And I realize that this sneaky SOB Sneaky bastard Sneaky Okay, sneaky bastard Oh, is that what you say?

00:34:49 - 00:34:52 | Speaker 2:

I think I say sneaky bastard But SOB is just as effective

00:34:52 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 3:

Okay, this sneaky bastard, excuse me Scheduled a trip to Arizona And comes home the day after We are supposed to go

00:35:00 - 00:35:16 | Speaker 2:

see the Book of Mormon and so I started laughing and I said I pointed it out to him and he said oh my gosh that was Christmas time I never put it on my calendar I'm so sorry I didn't do it deliberate deliberately I don't buy it for a second I think he did it on purpose so now he

00:35:16 - 00:35:21 | Speaker 4:

doesn't have to go see the Book of Mormon which is hysterical by the way yeah Book of Mormon is

00:35:21 - 00:35:26 | Speaker 1:

so good it's so good so you guys should go together yeah that's what's up you want to go

00:35:27 - 00:35:33 | Speaker 4:

No, I will, but legitimately, my brother is not a musical guy. Obviously, Shannon and I were big musical people. He loves Book of Mormon.

00:35:34 - 00:35:39 | Speaker 2:

It's so funny. And so just inappropriate. That's what makes it funny. So inappropriate.

00:35:39 - 00:36:54 | Speaker 1:

So here's an interesting thing, is that you think that you are getting that ultimate gift because you think you know that person well. And it happens from time to time where you, you know, like I know people that- It's a mess. I know people that fake liking something because they're significant or, you know, family member or whatever, like, has it in their mind that they will like this. You know what I mean? Like, I know people that are like, oh, my God, I love baseball because their husband or whatever likes going to baseball. And then they go to baseball games and they dread it and it's miserable and stuff. Right. Or I remember Chelsea's grandfather, for some reason, this has always been a story. Everybody gets in for Christmas. Penguins. So Chelsea's grandfather, when he was alive, everybody would get him penguins. And I one time walked into the kitchen and said to him, because I was new to the family, what's your obsession with penguins? I never knew that, that you like penguins. He goes, honestly, I hate penguins, and I don't know why they did it. I made a joke one time, and everybody kept going with it, and I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings. So it's kind of funny how that will sometimes play a part. But here it was, Wes was, you know, getting that gift that he was going to really love.

00:36:54 - 00:37:12 | Speaker 3:

Just love so much. Smart, though, because it went out of town to get out of it. Like you're weighing so much. Like everybody's always looking at you when you get a Christmas gift. Is he going to enjoy it? You know, everybody's like, well, they like my gift. So it's best to just fake it that day and then deal with it later. And like, whoops, I'm scheduled. I can't go now.

00:37:12 - 00:37:34 | Speaker 1:

and how many months removed are we from christmas right now uh three months three months almost no well two months two how many who who bought a gift for somebody and they still haven't used it like who bought something for somebody for christmas you know as a gift and you've never seen them either in it right using it playing with it whatever you can fake something on christmas

00:37:34 - 00:37:39 | Speaker 3:

morning but if i notice in march you still haven't taken it out of the box then i know you didn't like

00:37:39 - 00:37:50 | Speaker 1:

Or maybe They secretly returned it Who knows 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 Lisa what was your Advice for Shannon

00:37:50 - 00:37:58 | Speaker 4:

To call the theater And see if she can Swap out the tickets For a different date Like after he's home Or before he leaves Or whatever

00:37:58 - 00:38:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah I wonder if they Let you do that

00:38:00 - 00:38:03 | Speaker 1:

Guess who's a sneaky bastard now Yeah

00:38:03 - 00:38:04 | Speaker 4:

Stranahan they do

00:38:04 - 00:38:05 | Speaker 1:

00:38:05 - 00:38:06 | Speaker 4:

Yeah Stranahan in Toledo They do

00:38:06 - 00:38:12 | Speaker 1:

That's actually kind of funny And then make him go Like, have it for the date, but he comes right back. Welcome home. Yeah.

00:38:13 - 00:38:14 | Speaker 2:

Hey, he'll get in the car.

00:38:15 - 00:38:37 | Speaker 1:

I'll pick you up at the airport. We'll drive you right to the theater. When he gets in the car, hand him, like, a physical calendar, too. Like, an actual calendar. I love the texters at 95500. It's always clothes. I actually bought a beautiful outfit for my husband, who still has not worn it since Christmas. What's going on, Katie?

00:38:39 - 00:39:11 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. For Christmas, I bought my wife a diamond necklace with her initial on it, and she's never worn it. It was staying in the box, and now our four-year-old likes to play with it. No matter how much I put it up, she's like, oh, it's okay. No, it's not okay. It's a diamond necklace. Stop it. But she also, I can't get mad too much because she got me a diamond bracelet for my birthday, which is right before Christmas. And I may or may not have never worn that either.

00:39:12 - 00:39:13 | Speaker 1:

Oh, man.

00:39:13 - 00:39:17 | Speaker 2:

27675 Halstead. We'll take it off your hands.

00:39:18 - 00:39:23 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Donna, what's happening? Hi, Donna. Hello. Hi.

00:39:24 - 00:39:29 | Speaker 5:

00:39:34 - 00:39:39 | Speaker 4:

00:39:39 - 00:39:45 | Speaker 1:

That's funny Thank you for the call Donna What's up Angela

00:39:45 - 00:39:58 | Speaker 5:

Hi I have six waffle makers For my mother-in-law Wow And this year, this year we plan on wrapping them and giving them back.

00:40:00 - 00:40:08 | Speaker 4:

We want to wrap at least three of them with, like, different wrapping paper and be like, oh, here you go. Oh, that's so good.

00:40:08 - 00:41:28 | Speaker 2:

That's fantastic. I love that. Thank you for the call. All right, Mojo on the morning show. So I went on a little call yesterday. We do these calls where we visit, you know, our great people that advertise. And yesterday's was visiting Clean View Auto Wash and Frank Toma, who made a huge donation. donation he was actually one of our top donators to breaking and entering christmas wish and he's got a new location on shaner road that's amazing that's going to be opening like in the next few weeks that has indoor uh vacuums oh that's a game isn't that a game changer honestly yes that's really nice so i went with uh lydia and for those that don't know this lydia who answers your phones is uh the head of breaking and entering christmas wish she does uh breaking and entering christmas wish for us. And she's very compassionate with our people that we give money to and gifts and help pay their bills. But she's also even more compassionate with the people who give us the money because we need the money. We need the money to be able to get for you. So she came out with me yesterday and we had fun. It was nice to be able to catch up with those guys. Well, then afterwards, I had to leave and go home. And for those in Grand Rapids and Toledo, I live probably about 50 minutes or 55 minutes from where this is over in, is that Shelby Township? Is that where we were? Or Sterling Nights?

00:41:28 - 00:41:29 | Speaker 4:

Shelby Township, yeah.

00:41:31 - 00:42:15 | Speaker 2:

So long story short, again, I'm doing lots of long stories today because I'm a little bit tired from lack of sleep. I had to pee really bad on the way home off of Hall Road. The traffic was a nightmare. It was crazy. It was even longer. It took me well over an hour. And And I didn't want to pull off the road. I was thinking, I can make it, I can make it, I can make it. Well, I could not make it. And I don't know if you have ever been faced with this before. I found a water bottle, which is the water that I drink. I drink smart waters. I found a big smart water bottle. And while I was driving at two miles an hour or whatever it was in wall-to-wall traffic.

00:42:16 - 00:42:16 | Speaker 4:

No.

00:42:16 - 00:42:19 | Speaker 2:

I peed in the bottle.

00:42:19 - 00:42:24 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no. That takes some finagling and aim.

00:42:24 - 00:42:33 | Speaker 2:

On Hull Road. Actually, it was on M59. So, yeah. So, when it turned into Highway Park. Right. There was an accident.

00:42:33 - 00:42:38 | Speaker 4:

I never want to hear about people eating or doing their makeup while driving ever again. If you peed while driving. Yes.

00:42:38 - 00:43:03 | Speaker 2:

Well, let me just say this to you. Shannon and Megan and all the ladies of the show. KP, Lydia. This is the one time where being a guy is actually a good thing. Yeah. You can actually, you can do this. And I did not get any of it on the water bottle. There was no drippage, no leakage, no nothing. I even took a picture and sent it to you guys. Yeah, thank you for that.

00:43:03 - 00:43:07 | Speaker 4:

And that was the worst part when I'm scheduling the topics looking at somebody's jug of pee. Why?

00:43:08 - 00:43:13 | Speaker 2:

It could be lemonade. It could be water with electrolytes inside.

00:43:13 - 00:43:14 | Speaker 3:

It was fizzy.

00:43:14 - 00:43:21 | Speaker 1:

I hope you threw that away. You act like you're, like, miles from civilization on M59. I mean, you could have pulled off any exit.

00:43:21 - 00:43:29 | Speaker 2:

Mike was going to stick up for me. Go ahead, Mike. What were you going to say? No, I was not. The top of that water bottle is not very big.

00:43:29 - 00:43:36 | Speaker 1:

That's what I say. That's a two-hand job to be that precise. So one hand was not on the steering wheel.

00:43:36 - 00:43:55 | Speaker 2:

Michael? You have a little penis. I have a little. I'm sorry. But has anybody ever had to do this? And what is the best thing to pee in? And then I wanted to ask this question, and I know we got people that are listening with possible drinking or eating breakfast, so we'll keep it kind. Anybody ever have to go number two and did it in their car? How do you do that? No. No.

00:43:55 - 00:44:11 | Speaker 3:

Please don't call. Please don't. Or on the side of the road. We really want that call. Although I did poop in a Dunkin' Donuts box one time, but I wasn't in my car. You did? Yeah, because I didn't want to use the port-a-potty. I didn't want to use the port-a-potty. You're a lady. I'm sorry. I'm not a lady.

00:44:11 - 00:44:17 | Speaker 4:

You looked at a box with walls and a door and then just a box and said, I'd rather do the box.

00:44:17 - 00:44:42 | Speaker 3:

Yes. Well, I, but then I made, I made a makeshift area with two lawn chairs and a beach towel. Actually, three lawn chairs and a beach towel. Make a duty. What? It was desperation. Desperation. You said there was a porta potty. But, mm-mm. Oh, my Lord. It was at a, it was at a race track. Mm-mm. Wow. No, I will never look at you the same way again.

00:44:42 - 00:44:46 | Speaker 2:

See, and you guys think I'm gross. What's up, Bernard?

00:44:47 - 00:44:56 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Mojo, I don't know if you know this or not, but the best bottle to pee in, everybody knows, is a Gatorade bottle. Oh, I bet. 100%.

00:44:56 - 00:44:58 | Speaker 3:

Because of the big opening?

00:45:00 - 00:45:06 | Speaker 1:

big opening you can actually well never mind you can manipulate yourself to work it yeah that was

00:45:06 - 00:45:24 | Speaker 6:

the part that was so weird for me bernard i didn't want people that were behind me or either on the sides and i tried to make sure that nobody was like close to that i didn't want them to think i was you know taking care of myself or something in the car because it looks awkward when you're touching your you know zipper and all the rest of that stuff well you gotta make sure you pour it

00:45:24 - 00:45:28 | Speaker 1:

out too because you know those lime green gatorades can be confusing no you know what i did

00:45:28 - 00:45:37 | Speaker 6:

Honestly, I actually put it in my garbage can at home, and I tightened up the top of the thing. I was going to pour it out. I was going to pour it out.

00:45:37 - 00:45:39 | Speaker 7:

In the lawn or down the sink or something?

00:45:39 - 00:45:47 | Speaker 6:

I was going to, but I figured I might sell it on OnlyFans. I don't know. I might actually see if I can. It's a real gift for your trash collectors.

00:45:47 - 00:45:51 | Speaker 2:

Now I'm weirdly behind you again. What is happening? See?

00:45:51 - 00:45:55 | Speaker 6:

Somebody wants a drug test? What's up, Jody? How you doing?

00:45:56 - 00:46:06 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I'm good. But I would like to not normalize this thing in a water bottle thing My son is 14 And he does it at night So he doesn't have to get up

00:46:06 - 00:46:07 | Speaker 1:

Oh no

00:46:07 - 00:46:20 | Speaker 4:

What if somebody goes in there and thinks it's lemonade Or additives to water That's disgusting I went in there and I'm like what is this And he's like oh yeah don't drink that

00:46:20 - 00:46:26 | Speaker 7:

Mike did you just say you did that Oh yeah yeah absolutely Who's going into my room to drink anything anyways Why are you walking into my room to drink anything

00:46:26 - 00:46:29 | Speaker 1:

You have a bathroom down the steps from...

00:46:29 - 00:46:30 | Speaker 5:

Why are you eating in a bottle when you have a bathroom?

00:46:31 - 00:46:39 | Speaker 7:

Well, this was teenage, Mike, but also because I don't want to get up. I don't want to walk out. I don't want to lose my sleep. You ever get out of the bathroom or get up to go to the bathroom?

00:46:39 - 00:46:52 | Speaker 4:

That's exactly what he says. He's like, if I get up, now I'm actually awake and I have a harder time falling asleep. Okay, I don't care what the reason. That's disgusting. Just because you guys have the advantage to females doesn't mean you should take advantage.

00:46:52 - 00:47:03 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but men also dribbles. So, like, I've never walked out to a men's toilet and thought, well, that's some urine down there. So is that just in your bed now? Did you just, like, kind of pee your bed?

00:47:03 - 00:47:05 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, there's no way there wasn't drippage.

00:47:06 - 00:47:06 | Unknown:

I will.

00:47:07 - 00:47:10 | Speaker 2:

And Mojo then probably peed a little bit on his car seat.

00:47:11 - 00:47:18 | Speaker 6:

Megan, I'm telling you, we'll DNA test it later today if you want to. You'll find French fried grease, but you will not find. What's up, Melissa?

00:47:20 - 00:47:25 | Speaker 5:

Hey there. I was stuck in traffic, M14, the part between Ann Arbor and Livonia.

00:47:25 - 00:47:28 | Speaker 6:

Brutal. Yeah. Equally as bad as Hall Road.

00:47:29 - 00:47:51 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. So we were dead stopped for an hour. It was a bad accident. People were running out of their vehicles, right? I'm like, well, there are no trees. Guys were going. I didn't see any girls going. I had to go really, really bad. I had a full Kleenex box in the back of my car. I found two grocery bags, put, basically made a make-strip toilet.

00:47:51 - 00:47:56 | Speaker 6:

All right, I think we got enough detail. This is like Boy Scouts. This is amazing.

00:47:56 - 00:47:59 | Speaker 7:

Exactly. In all that time, you could have just found somewhere.

00:47:59 - 00:48:02 | Speaker 6:

There was nowhere to go. It was wall-to-wall traffic.

00:48:02 - 00:48:03 | Speaker 7:

Go in the woods. Go somewhere.

00:48:03 - 00:48:21 | Speaker 6:

And that stretch, too, on M14, there really is. Once you get past Plymouth Road, you're screwed for a while. Exactly. Yeah, that's a good one. Now, okay, ready for this? Hold on a second. Hold on. Which one do I pick up first? Oh, let's pick up Marina's. About her husband, and what did your husband do, Marina?

00:48:22 - 00:48:51 | Speaker 4:

Hi, so my husband, he works in construction, and he was telling me one day he had to do number two, so he took a Home Depot five-gallon bucket and put a trash bag in the bucket so he could do number two. And I judged him for it. I was like, this is a weird, that's so weird. until one day I went to work with him, and we were working in a house that had no electricity, no plumbing, and I had to go to the bathroom, and he set it up for me.

00:48:52 - 00:48:53 | Speaker 6:

It's wonderful.

00:48:53 - 00:48:58 | Speaker 4:

I was like, okay, now I understand, because it's really rough, like, if you don't have a bathroom.

00:48:58 - 00:49:01 | Speaker 6:

Do you guys call it something? Like, is it the poo bucket, or what is it?

00:49:02 - 00:49:22 | Speaker 4:

No, we don't call it anything, but it's actually not bad, because his work van is, like, tall. One of those panel vans It's amazing It's your own little outhouse I saw a roll of toilet paper in the back And I'm like why do you have toilet paper back here And now I get it It makes sense

00:49:22 - 00:49:32 | Speaker 6:

A lot of our people Actually how about the delivery drivers too Those people are out there too And people don't give them a chance to use the bathroom Carrie are you a delivery driver? Carrie?

00:49:32 - 00:49:36 | Speaker 3:

No but I have a story about a delivery driver

00:49:36 - 00:49:37 | Speaker 6:

Oh okay

00:49:37 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 3:

So I had this Amazon driver outside my house for a while, and I thought, oh, they're just dropping off packages in the neighborhood or something, and they're taking their time. Well, a few minutes go by, and the Amazon truck takes off, and I see outside there's a bag. And I go out, and I'm like, oh, they left a bag like they must have dropped it. Oh, no, it was full of nothing.

00:50:00 - 00:50:19 | Speaker 4:

Number two, they had gone to the bathroom in their truck and then left it for me to clean up. No. Oh, no. No, no, no. So I guess the story is that Amazon delivery drivers don't get breaks to go to the bathroom. Right. So they have to use their truck. Yeah.

00:50:19 - 00:50:26 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, we've heard that before, that a lot of the delivery trucks, they just don't have the time because they're clocked on how many deliveries they make.

00:50:26 - 00:50:32 | Speaker 7:

Can you imagine that the guy goes and he's like, oh, I don't want it in my truck, so he takes it and just throws it like your doggie dude.

00:50:33 - 00:50:34 | Speaker 1:

Like a doggie bag. Yeah, that's what it reminds me of.

00:50:34 - 00:50:40 | Speaker 7:

Instead of asking you to use his toilet. Were you committed to dropping that off on your lawn?

00:50:40 - 00:50:43 | Speaker 4:

Well, thank you for the present. The present, you guys.

00:50:43 - 00:50:45 | Speaker 7:

That was the best Amazon delivery ever.

00:50:46 - 00:50:48 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. I totally didn't order that.

00:50:48 - 00:50:50 | Unknown:

I didn't order that.

00:50:51 - 00:51:02 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Brian? Hi. One of my friends was driving down the road and I had to take, like, a massive grab But I couldn't wait So like I just pooped out the window

00:51:02 - 00:51:04 | Speaker 5:

Wait, wait, wait So wait

00:51:04 - 00:51:05 | Speaker 1:

No, no

00:51:05 - 00:51:08 | Speaker 5:

You hung your butt out the window While you were driving?

00:51:09 - 00:51:12 | Speaker 3:

No, he was driving And I was

00:51:12 - 00:51:17 | Speaker 7:

I know, but that's what he's That's what they're trying to say You just Your booty was out there

00:51:17 - 00:51:21 | Speaker 5:

While the car was moving You were also making a movement

00:51:21 - 00:51:27 | Speaker 8:

He goes, correct I call BS on this one I don't buy this one We were actually traveling down the highway

00:51:28 - 00:51:29 | Speaker 4:

Actually, he calls BM.

00:51:31 - 00:51:37 | Speaker 6:

Spike Scams at 7.50 this morning. But first, coming up in less than 15 minutes on Mojo in the Morning, you'll hear this.

00:51:39 - 00:51:58 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God. In just moments, we're going to give you a chance to go to Irish on Ionia. We got a scam coming up in just a few. Plus, good topic on the way in just a few minutes. Megan, I don't think she meant to reply to me. Wait till you hear what somebody actually replied all about Megan to Megan. Shannon, what do you got in the Dirty next?

00:51:59 - 00:52:13 | Speaker 1:

Well, I'm going to recap the Murdoch verdict from yesterday. That was a huge story. And speculation that Kourtney Kardashian pregnant again. She's commenting on that coming up in the Dirty. Shannon's dirty. Is Shannon pretty dirty at Dirty 30? Yeah.

00:52:14 - 00:52:29 | Speaker 7:

All right. We're going to give you a chance to go to Irish on Ionia. I was just thinking about this. Dear Lord Jesus, please do not let what's going to happen tonight in the metro Detroit area happened the Friday before Irish

00:52:29 - 00:52:31 | Speaker 5:

on Ionia. We've always had great...

00:52:31 - 00:53:00 | Speaker 7:

Everybody say amen. Great weather. Amen. We always do, but I'm going to say this to you right now. This Friday in the Detroit area, we got that in Grand Rapids. Imagine what it would be like waking up tomorrow morning. Now, the weather's going to be weird. We're going to get, like, in the Detroit area, there's supposed to be, like, 6 to 9 inches or something like that of snow. Then it's supposed to be, like, 45 degrees on Sunday. It's going to actually be like close to 50 degrees. If we get a sun out, who knows what it could be.

00:53:00 - 00:53:13 | Speaker 8:

I was just talking to Ali, too. Imagine if you got snowed in to like a place. So like what if you got snowed in to Irish and Ionia and you had to stay there? You couldn't go anywhere because the weather was so bad. It's not going to be. Now you're talking. Yeah.

00:53:14 - 00:53:19 | Speaker 7:

Do they have enough shamrock slushies for us? Sure they do.

00:53:20 - 00:53:40 | Speaker 5:

And they got heaters. I love it. All right. My daughter, Tex from Grand Valley, said, my one beef about Mojo in the Morning Show. Y'all only talk about weather in Metro Detroit like it's the crazy worst snow ever. We get this snow all the time. I said, yeah, but you guys are built for it. You guys are used to it all the time. That's why it's news here, because we're not used to 10 inches every day.

00:53:40 - 00:53:45 | Speaker 7:

You guys are built for it. Does that mean that they're thicker people, or what does that build for? They're just used to it. Oh, they're used to it.

00:53:45 - 00:53:48 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, she's had snow on her front walk for months.

00:53:48 - 00:54:09 | Speaker 7:

Because I was going to say, I'm a thick person. I ain't built for it. All right, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 when passes to Irish and Ionia. Also qualify for a VIP experience, which includes VIP and hotel stay at City Flats. So Irish and Ionia is happening the day after St. Patrick's Day, so a couple weeks from today.

00:54:10 - 00:54:13 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30s.

00:54:13 - 00:54:21 | Speaker 7:

All right, I was just going to say traffic. No, no traffic. We'll get to your traffic in just a little bit, But right now, we're going to get to Shannon's Dirty on the 30.

00:54:22 - 00:54:31 | Speaker 1:

Yesterday, Alex Murdoch was found guilty of murdering his wife and his son. The jury spent less than three hours deliberating.

00:54:32 - 00:54:38 | Speaker 2:

The state versus Richard Alexander Murdoch, defendant, indictment for murder, guilty verdict.

00:54:38 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 1:

He showed no emotion on his face but was shaking as the verdict was read following six weeks of testimony. His surviving son, Buster, put his head in his hands after that verdict was read. This state successfully convinced jurors that he killed his wife and his other son in order to distract from the millions upon millions that he'd stolen from his law firm. There was a looming lawsuit over Paul's drunken.

00:55:00 - 00:55:12 | Speaker 5:

boat wreck, which threatened to ruin him financially. I mean, so many mysterious deaths surrounding this man. Murnach is facing 30 years to life in prison. He will be sentenced later this morning. We're all kind of shocked

00:55:12 - 00:55:18 | Speaker 4:

about that, right? Because it seemed like they might not be able to prove within the shadow of a reasonable

00:55:18 - 00:55:26 | Speaker 3:

doubt. They had no weapon. Yeah. There was no weapon. There was no blood on him at all. Like, they couldn't find any blood. This was the cleanest murderer ever.

00:55:26 - 00:55:29 | Speaker 4:

You think the jurors were secretly watching the Netflix documentary? Well, that's the thing.

00:55:29 - 00:56:02 | Speaker 3:

We were all pretty convinced. That is the thing, is that if you watch that documentary, man, this guy's up to no good. I also wondered with the three hours and the quick deliberation, was there going to be, you know, because what they do is, if you've ever been on a jury, they go through and do a vote right away. They don't even talk about the jury. They just go, vote, guilty, not guilty. And then if there are some people that have a disagreement with it, then they discuss it. And I thought if there's enough people that say not guilty, maybe they would just come out and say, all right, we're not going to be able to come to this. We'll have a deadlock or something.

00:56:03 - 00:56:37 | Speaker 5:

Today marks 18 days since three students were murdered, five critically injured, and countless more scarred by the mass shooting at Michigan State University. Yesterday, during a state senate hearing, gun violence was top of mind as advocates demand lawmakers take steps to ensure that mass shootings like the ones at MSU and Oxford High School will never happen again. Steve St. Juliana, the father of 14-year-old Hannah, who lost her life at Oxford High School, and his daughter Rina, testified together and gave some pretty emotional speeches.

00:56:38 - 00:56:48 | Speaker 1:

It feels as though I haven't been able to take a breath, but how could I? I haven't heard Hannah's laugh or gone into her room without it being empty and dark in over a year.

00:56:48 - 00:56:55 | Speaker 2:

It's not a matter of if. It's a matter of when this is going to happen again.

00:56:55 - 00:57:56 | Speaker 3:

and it's going to touch you don't wait as far as the shooter is concerned the guy that uh that did this um do you guys remember how they were all talking about the neighbors were calling the cops on him and everything and then the lansing police came out and said we never had any calls to the cops well the neighbors were really upset by that because they did including one of the calls was from his dad that called the cops specifically so charlie leduff is doing a freedom of information on their calls and doing an investigation on why is it that the the police did not you know look into this look more into this guy well before the shooting even took place and i thought that was kind of interesting because i thought to myself okay well this is weird that the police would say that and i don't know why they would come out in a press conference and say that if there are people that specifically lived next to him that said no, we did call the police and you guys came out. Yeah, yeah.

00:57:56 - 00:58:56 | Speaker 5:

Kourtney Kardashian is shutting down speculation yet again that she's pregnant. She released some photos from her new campaign with I think they're called Lemmy Purr gummies. They're good for vaginal health, apparently. And in the comments of Van asked her if she was expecting baby number four and Kourtney replied, the after effects of IVF. I only acknowledge this comment because I do think it's important to know how IVF affects women's bodies, and it's not spoken about much. She added, also, are we still asking women if they're pregnant? And this video is now going viral. The Oklahoma City Thunder hosted the LA Lakers on Wednesday, and there was a timeout happening. So the Thunder brought up the kiss cam, you know, like every NBA team does. So it's Going around the arena, it went to two husbands, back-to-back, okay? Not at the same time. Both were not happy that they were on the kiss cam and pushed their wives away instead of kissing them. It's so great to see.

00:58:56 - 00:58:58 | Speaker 3:

Wait, like physically?

00:58:58 - 00:59:18 | Speaker 5:

Well, one guy just literally turned his cheek to his wife, which, rude. And the other guy was doing something in his phone and seemed to get really bothered when his wife was like, we're on the kiss cam, we're on the kiss cam, and then started pointing to his phone like something more important was happening on his phone than just giving his wife a quick kiss for the kiss cam.

00:59:18 - 00:59:23 | Speaker 4:

I never believe those kiss cam videos anymore because so many of the teams try to go viral by faking with actors.

00:59:23 - 00:59:24 | Speaker 5:

Right, right, right.

00:59:24 - 00:59:30 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to say this, though. It is an awkward situation when they do put you up on one of those because I've had that before.

00:59:30 - 00:59:35 | Speaker 5:

I've been put on one with a guy, like truly a friend, and I was like, I'm not. You're not kissing him?

00:59:35 - 00:59:42 | Speaker 3:

I was put up on it when I was eating a big old thing of nachos at a Pistons game once. I wasn't doing anything other than eating those nachos.

00:59:42 - 00:59:46 | Speaker 5:

For all of today's Dirty, you can see that video, by the way, on the Dirty page at mojointhemorning.com.

01:01:03 - 01:01:04 | Speaker 2:

Perfect. Thank you.

01:01:04 - 01:01:08 | Speaker 1:

After a three-year absence, this is going to be an amazing party. So much fun.

01:01:09 - 01:01:22 | Speaker 3:

Mojo on the morning show. So we got to have Megan tell this story. So there was an email exchange that was going around, and Megan wasn't supposed to be on this email exchange.

01:01:23 - 01:02:36 | Speaker 2:

No. I have been having a bit of a disagreement with a person, right? But I, for once in my life, have been kind of confrontational. Oh, good for you. Thank you. I have been standing up for myself, which is something that I normally don't do. 2023 is bringing out a new me, and I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing, but we're wilding out, all right? We are defending ourselves. We are standing up for ourselves. And I'm not really backing down for once. And to be quite, I'm pretty proud of myself for it. I have been very aware, though, of my tone in all conversations because I hate conversations like this. You know when you so hate confrontation that you think about an email for 20 minutes before you even send it? Or I will, like, call my dad and be like, does this sound professional and polite? Like, I'm making sure that I am not rude in any situation, in any of these emails. And I don't think people expected me to stand up for myself. Well, I got an email that was clearly a reply-all when it was meant to be sent without me still CC'd on the email.

01:02:37 - 01:02:38 | Speaker 3:

What did it say?

01:02:38 - 01:02:56 | Speaker 2:

The person wrote, can you believe that she's doing this? And I responded back, and my petty ass said, yes, I can. And it was me standing up for myself, and they said, can you believe that she is doing this right now? Can you believe that she's advocating for herself?

01:02:56 - 01:02:58 | Speaker 3:

Did they respond back after that?

01:02:58 - 01:02:59 | Speaker 2:

No, they did not.

01:03:00 - 01:03:03 | Speaker 3:

Because they realized what happened. They don't know what to do.

01:03:03 - 01:03:04 | Speaker 2:

Right.

01:03:04 - 01:03:38 | Speaker 3:

yeah there's so many there are so many like email reply alls and forwards and things that go on this this obviously was a work situation because i'm going to tell you this it is it's now gotten to a point where there is one email exchange that i have in my uh my computer where there are it says next to it yep it has 12 the number 12 next to all the numbers of the the emails that have been sent back and forth. And my Gmail, it shows how many different people replied to the email.

01:03:38 - 01:03:51 | Speaker 1:

Sometimes I'll get like 30 or 40 and I'll ask the person, can you please just start a new thread? Like I can't find the information anymore. And after a while you scroll down and it like gets pushed off to the right. Does yours do that? Yeah. It's harder and harder to read.

01:03:51 - 01:04:09 | Speaker 3:

Well here, and here's the, one of the main problems of this, what happened to Megan? This is the reason why you've got to be careful, because if you click the wrong reply, that reply could be the one that Megan's on where you want to tell her, can you believe she's doing this?

01:04:09 - 01:05:26 | Speaker 1:

Well, it happened to me, and it was hilarious. If not, I mean, I was so frustrated in my last house when I was married. I hired a window company to come to our house and redo everything. And it was a nightmare. for a year and a half they kept they put in the wrong windows they put in a damaged door then they replaced the windows but the ones they put in they they damaged while installing whole thing was a nightmare and i had to keep a thread i had to keep calling them for like like i said almost a year and a half at one point somebody from their marketing team finally reached out to me i think they found out who i was and i was on the radio like can we fix this i'm like yeah i've been giving you opportunities for over a year to fix this as and she said i'm new can you tell me what happened And I gave her the whole list of everything that happened. The new door was broken. This was happening. This didn't happen. They sold me the wrong end. the next day I get the email has a reply all from the boss, from their like CEO or owner, whoever. And he goes, wow, did we really do all that? And like, didn't realize he replied all and I was on the email. Like, so he like emailed the customer back talking about all the bad stuff they did. Wow. And I was like, God, you gotta look at your email. Like the person shouldn't have forwarded my email and in a forward that I was

01:05:26 - 01:05:36 | Speaker 4:

still on and it's not like it sounds to me like his tone was i can't believe we did all that but it's not you don't want to hear that yeah you did all that well and then it's playing and the worst

01:05:36 - 01:05:50 | Speaker 1:

part was then they didn't still didn't fix anything right so even after he was aware of everything it was like they didn't fix it i'm like this is unbelievable you you're showing me that the boss sees all this knows it's bad and they're still not going to fix it have you guys ever um had

01:05:50 - 01:07:36 | Speaker 4:

this happen to you or somebody said something negative about you in a company email or in a, you know, email exchange back and forth. I remember way back when with my oldest son, Joe, where a teacher replied about Joe and said something to the effect of, it was kind of like Chelsea had wrote something to the teacher about how Joe, Joe was struggling with something and felt like he was kind of being left behind in whatever the class was and it was with the teacher the principal and the counselor that were there and the teacher wrote back i don't know how much help or some of the effect of i don't know how much help we're going to give this kid but to be honest with you i don't know if he's smart enough to actually understand the help or something like that and the principal was so pissed because basically it was you're calling this kid dumb and the principal handled it even before Chelsea and I read that. So that was one of those situations where it's like to say that, not a good situation. He wasn't wrong. You know? But don't call my kids ugly. Only I can call my kids ugly. You know what I mean? And Megan too. You tell me which salesperson Megan and I will put them on the Mojo blacklist i didn't say it was a salesperson oh i thought you said was it uh where was this i didn't okay you tell me what where this was i'm just assuming this sounds like one of our salespeople for me no no no okay no no you actually use email for something other than work sure i don't use email for anything else

01:07:36 - 01:07:42 | Speaker 2:

I swear to God Shannon, Spike

01:07:42 - 01:07:45 | Speaker 4:

Was it about me? Did I do it to you?

01:07:45 - 01:07:51 | Speaker 2:

Did we not have a full conversation before the show started? I just realized I just realized

01:07:51 - 01:07:55 | Speaker 3:

Who sent you this email?

01:07:57 - 01:08:23 | Speaker 2:

Oh my god This is legitimately why I hate talking about real conflict in my life because the one time I said, hey, one quick thing. Let's just not talk about the origin of this email. And then as soon as we're wrapping everything up, Mojo, so what salesperson did this come from? This is a work thing, right? All I said was it was an email where I stood up for myself.

01:08:24 - 01:08:26 | Speaker 1:

Hear that? That was the sound of Mojo throwing Megan under the bus.

01:08:27 - 01:08:30 | Speaker 4:

Real quick, real quick, real quick. I just want to say something.

01:08:30 - 01:08:31 | Speaker 2:

Real quick, let's make this worse. Okay.

01:08:32 - 01:08:48 | Speaker 4:

Congratulations on standing up for yourself. I'm proud of you. I am proud of you, Megan. Doesn't help the situation, but we're proud of you. You know this. The only way we get action done around this place is through this 100,000-watt blowtorch called the radio show.

01:08:49 - 01:08:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I'm so mad at you.

01:08:51 - 01:08:56 | Speaker 4:

No, you're not, because I'm sticking up for you. I'm going to big brother this one. I'm going to go in there, and I'm going to give them what for.

01:08:57 - 01:08:59 | Speaker 2:

I'm not telling you anything I forgot.

01:09:00 - 01:09:00 | Speaker 4:

Tiffany?

01:09:02 - 01:09:18 | Speaker 5:

So, I'm a bad parent. and I don't know my kid's teachers, and my kid got in trouble, and it was a three-way, like, FaceTime call. And I was so mad because my kid wasn't in the wrong. So I was sitting there talking all this stuff about this teacher, and he ended up being on the line.

01:09:18 - 01:09:23 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no. So this is not a reply all. This is a conference call where you didn't have any clue that he was on there?

01:09:24 - 01:09:48 | Speaker 5:

Right. I didn't know it was that teacher that was on there that, yeah. And I was like, this guy is horrible. What is he doing? Like, he doesn't know how to run his class. I was saying, like, everything. and how do you okay so oh my god that's who that's what the person said yeah the other lady it was like a lady and a guy and the guy was the one in the wrong and she was like well let me introduce you that's the one you're talking about what did you say what did you do i was like oh

01:09:48 - 01:09:58 | Speaker 3:

well hi i gotcha i knew you were there right yeah it was bad oh my god uh voice disguise nina what's

01:09:58 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Nina?

01:10:00 - 01:10:18 | Speaker 2:

Hello there. Good morning, everyone. Good morning. Yeah, so at a previous job, I think the reply button got pushed on accident, and the issued employee was included on that email from HR.

01:10:18 - 01:10:21 | Speaker 3:

Oh, boy. Oh, that causes a headache, doesn't it?

01:10:22 - 01:10:29 | Speaker 2:

No, the employee left the company quickly, so it worked out well. But, yeah, no, don't.

01:10:29 - 01:10:38 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, double check. I'm always saying that double check that with even like text messages that you're sending. What's up, Helena?

01:10:39 - 01:10:55 | Speaker 6:

Hi. So I had a regional vice president forward me an email where one of his regional managers was calling us in the HR department dumb and incompetent. Oh, man. Without deleting that part of the email.

01:10:55 - 01:10:56 | Speaker 3:

Wow.

01:10:57 - 01:10:57 | Speaker 6:

That's fun.

01:10:57 - 01:11:02 | Speaker 1:

So you guys are HR, and you're basically overseeing them. What did you do? Did you have to punish them?

01:11:03 - 01:11:11 | Speaker 6:

I went ahead. It was above my pay grade. I just kind of went ahead and went to my boss and said, this is not the smartest side of me on their part. You handle it.

01:11:11 - 01:11:11 | Speaker 5:

Right.

01:11:11 - 01:11:20 | Speaker 6:

She's like, you got it. So she handled it. I'm not sure really what happened, but I think there was an email sent to them from the director of HR saying, you cannot do that.

01:11:20 - 01:11:27 | Speaker 3:

But, you know, the vice president, so they probably continued working there and didn't have any issues, right? Yep, exactly. Slap on the wrist.

01:11:27 - 01:11:34 | Speaker 1:

Can you go to human resources on that? Does human resources get to go to human resources? I've always wondered that.

01:11:35 - 01:11:41 | Speaker 6:

It's just kind of going from the senior HR generalist up to the director of human resources. But even then.

01:11:42 - 01:11:50 | Speaker 1:

I always wondered that. If you're a human resources director and have a bad experience like you just had with this person, how do you turn in that person when you're supposed to be the person you turn it into?

01:11:51 - 01:11:52 | Speaker 6:

You go to the president.

01:11:54 - 01:11:57 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Crazy. All right. Well, thank you for the call.

01:11:58 - 01:11:58 | Speaker 6:

Thanks.

01:11:58 - 01:12:31 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning is your home of the phone scams. We are going to phone scam a Karen. Yes, her real name is Karen. She lost power for a week and a half, and their neighborhood is still without power. Her electricity went back on, but she is still freaking out because she just had a baby and doesn't want to lose power again. Well, Spike called her and said that she was going to lose power again, but this time they are shutting her power off on purpose. It's a Mojo in the Morning classic phone scam.

01:12:33 - 01:12:36 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning, your home of the world's famous phone scams.

01:12:42 - 01:12:42 | Speaker 5:

Hello?

01:12:43 - 01:12:45 | Speaker 4:

Hello, I'm looking for Karen ***, please.

01:12:46 - 01:12:46 | Speaker 5:

Speaking?

01:12:46 - 01:13:18 | Speaker 4:

Hello, Karen. My name is Phil Rippinclipple from D*** Energy, and there's a great demand for electric power, and it's really putting a strain on our system. So what we're doing is calling some of our customers, let them know how we're going to reduce our energy usage so that they can have more electric power. We're going to put you in this program, and it's just going to adjust your electric usage a little bit. Wait, who is this? My name is Phil from **** Energy. We are going to give you a blackout at your house on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

01:13:20 - 01:13:21 | Speaker 5:

A what?

01:13:21 - 01:13:28 | Speaker 4:

A blackout. We're going to turn your electric off for those three days each week, just for probably the next two weeks or so.

01:13:29 - 01:13:30 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no. I don't think so.

01:13:30 - 01:13:35 | Speaker 4:

This isn't really a voluntary program. It's going to happen to a lot of your neighbors as well.

01:13:35 - 01:13:36 | Speaker 5:

I don't think so. This is ****.

01:13:37 - 01:13:43 | Speaker 4:

You're taking this very personal. and there's really nothing towards you. Everybody's going to have the same program in your neighborhood, and we're just telling you...

01:13:43 - 01:13:48 | Speaker 5:

I don't care what everybody else is doing. I'm not doing this. I just had a baby, okay? I need my electricity.

01:13:49 - 01:13:51 | Speaker 4:

Do you cook with a gas stove or an electric stove?

01:13:52 - 01:13:55 | Speaker 5:

It shouldn't even matter what I cook with because you're not turning my power off.

01:13:56 - 01:14:03 | Speaker 4:

What we're suggesting to mothers is that maybe on those days you just go to a mall or Target.

01:14:03 - 01:14:06 | Speaker 5:

I'm not going anywhere. I'm not leaving my f***ing house.

01:14:06 - 01:14:11 | Speaker 4:

You can understand as a new mother that there are hospitals that can't even plug in their life support.

01:14:11 - 01:14:13 | Speaker 5:

I am so sorry for them.

01:14:13 - 01:14:15 | Speaker 4:

Right. So what I'm just saying is...

01:14:15 - 01:14:18 | Speaker 5:

I'm not going to make me to be a cold-hearted person because I am not.

01:14:18 - 01:14:19 | Speaker 4:

What model furnace do you have?

01:14:20 - 01:14:26 | Speaker 5:

What model furnace do I have? I have a 90th furnace. 90th f***ing business.

01:14:26 - 01:14:32 | Speaker 4:

If it were up to me, I would climb the utility pole outside your house with a scissor and I'd cut your power off right now.

01:14:32 - 01:14:33 | Speaker 5:

I don't think so.

01:14:33 - 01:14:36 | Speaker 4:

We're just going to flip the switch from our headquarters and turn your power off.

01:14:36 - 01:14:42 | Speaker 5:

Flip that switch. Go ahead. Did you hear what I said? I have a baby. I have to pump breast milk.

01:14:42 - 01:14:48 | Speaker 4:

There's only one last thing I can do, and that's tell you that this is Spike from the Mojo on the Morning Show and you've just been phone scammed?

01:14:49 - 01:14:50 | Speaker 5:

Are you f***ing kidding me?

01:14:52 - 01:15:00 | Speaker 4:

I told him this was not a good idea to do this to a new mom. You're probably already sleep-deprived as it is, aren't you?

01:15:00 - 01:15:18 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. Wait, wait. Do you have something up your sleeve? What's going on?

01:16:29 - 01:16:43 | Speaker 2:

I got some good songs. I have something up my sleeve. I have a couple songs I don't think I've ever used in the throwback throwdown. First pick in the draft, though, is going to Sarah. Sarah, your choices to win some Fall Out Boy tickets. Spike, Shannon, Megan, or Mike?

01:16:44 - 01:16:44 | Unknown:

Shannon.

01:16:45 - 01:16:49 | Speaker 1:

I need a win because I'm still feeling the loss from the five at 655 today.

01:16:49 - 01:17:12 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's true. Okay. Warren, next pick in the draft goes to you. Warren. Warren, hello. Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike. Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike. Thank you, Warren, Warren, Warren, Warren, Warren, Warren. We have Spike and Megan still on the board. Caitlin, who do you choose?

01:17:12 - 01:17:13 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to choose Megan.

01:17:14 - 01:17:33 | Speaker 2:

All right, Megan. Look at that, Megan. And that means that, Spike, you get to be with Chad. All right, Chadward, how are you this morning? Good, Spike. Come on. I got you. Your phone cut out there. He was going to say, come on, win a darn win for me. You can rely on me more than your cell carrier.

01:17:33 - 01:17:34 | Speaker 1:

You got this.

01:17:34 - 01:18:10 | Speaker 2:

You got this. Ready? First song in the Mojo in the Morning throwback throwdown. You guys know the rules. Let me explain this because some people may not understand this. What is the throwback throwdown, Mojo? Well, these are all songs that were famous at one point or another and may still even be famous. And then I'll play little clips of them. And if you guys would like to actually say, I know the answer, you say your name. And then I'll call upon you. If you say the title and artist correctly, you'll get a ding and first to three of those. Thank you. Any other questions? Anybody else? I feel like the teacher at the beginning of the room. Yes, yes. Me, me, me. Yes, miss.

01:18:10 - 01:18:11 | Speaker 1:

What constitutes a throwback?

01:18:12 - 01:18:20 | Speaker 2:

What constitutes a throwback? Well, I'll give you a prime example of that. It could be anything that has one time been played at one time on this radio station.

01:18:20 - 01:18:22 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. That's a very clear answer. Thank you.

01:18:22 - 01:18:33 | Speaker 2:

Matter of fact, I'll give you this one as an example. Ready? Throwback throwdown. First song is... Spike. Shannon. Spike. Bruno Mars, Locked Out of Heaven. Correct answer.

01:18:36 - 01:18:46 | Speaker 1:

Wait, were we playing? What was that example? We're playing. Oh. I have a question.

01:18:46 - 01:18:47 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

01:18:47 - 01:19:03 | Speaker 3:

Can some of us who are not good at this game, like maybe possibly play on a handicap? Can I start with a point? You know, that's a really good point, Megan. I have ADHD, and at school they gave me an extra 10 minutes for my test. So maybe we need that for the throwback throwdown. Yeah, I get one point just to start.

01:19:04 - 01:19:24 | Speaker 2:

Actually, you hold your own pretty nicely. You do good. You do good That felt convincing Next song in the Mojo in the Morning Throwback Throwdown is Mike Mike Ludacris stand up Correct answer Thanks Just like that

Wrong song.

01:21:51 - 01:21:53 | Speaker 3:

01:21:53 - 01:21:56 | Speaker 1:

01:25:17 - 01:25:31 | Speaker 2:

By the way, if you want to make a playlist of all the songs that we do, So this is good for, like, driving listening.

01:25:33 - 01:25:35 | Speaker 5:

We're team Selena Gomez over here.

01:25:36 - 01:25:37 | Speaker 3:

01:25:43 - 01:25:58 | Speaker 5:

Megan, my entire For You page on TikTok is Savannah and Hayley Drama. If you don't think I know about the New Year's Eve plans where Kendall Jenner took Selena Gomez to Dubai so that Hayley Bieber could spend the night with Justin Bieber, The fact that I have fallen into the deepest rabbit hole

01:25:58 - 01:26:02 | Speaker 1:

I want to talk about these people That's an exclusive It's crazy

01:26:02 - 01:26:06 | Speaker 5:

I have too much free time

01:26:06 - 01:26:13 | Speaker 3:

And we just thought it was just a nice trip That the girls were going on, a girls vacation Alright, are we still stuck at just Mike and Spike?

01:26:13 - 01:26:15 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, we still have Mike and Spike on the board But nobody else

01:26:15 - 01:26:22 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's right, Megan I apologize And I think we all agreed

01:26:22 - 01:26:26 | Speaker 5:

At the beginning that I get an extra point So I believe I'm in the lead.

01:26:27 - 01:26:36 | Speaker 3:

All right. Then Mike needs to get on the board. Next song in the morning, throwback. Just let him. Shannon needs to get on the board.

01:26:36 - 01:26:38 | Speaker 1:

But it's women's history, but she's on the board.

01:26:38 - 01:26:40 | Speaker 4:

The only person not on the board is Shannon.

01:26:40 - 01:26:41 | Speaker 3:

All right, there we go.

01:26:41 - 01:26:43 | Speaker 1:

Women, get your music history together.

01:26:43 - 01:26:52 | Speaker 3:

Here we go. Score update right now. Mike's on the board. Spike's on the board. Megan's on the board. No Shannon. Yes. Okay, here we go. Shannon, get on the board with...

01:26:53 - 01:26:59 | Speaker 1:

Spike. Spike. I love all this guitar music you're playing. Third Eye Blind, Never Let You Go. Correct answer.

01:26:59 - 01:27:13 | Speaker 4:

I want you to turn around and back on each other. It's a good and good song for your mother. Turn around and back on each other.

01:27:17 - 01:27:18 | Unknown:

Boop.

01:27:18 - 01:27:19 | Speaker 2:

Yes. A broad cut.

01:27:21 - 01:27:25 | Speaker 5:

Spike's in the lead with two. We got Megan and Mike with one, Shannon still with nothing.

01:27:26 - 01:27:33 | Speaker 3:

Spike, you can win it with this next song. The next song in the Mojo of the Morning throwback throwdown is...

01:27:33 - 01:27:41 | Speaker 4:

This here is a remarkable, so, so dumb remix. Mike. Mike.

01:27:43 - 01:27:47 | Speaker 3:

Run DMC 112, Let's Get Married.

01:27:48 - 01:27:48 | Speaker 1:

Spike.

01:27:49 - 01:27:49 | Speaker 3:

Spike.

01:27:50 - 01:27:52 | Speaker 1:

Jagged Edge and Run DMC, Let's Get Married.

01:27:52 - 01:28:01 | Speaker 3:

Correct answer. Spike just won the throwback throwdown. Congratulations, Chad.

01:28:03 - 01:28:04 | Unknown:

Good job, Spike.

01:28:05 - 01:28:20 | Speaker 3:

Very nice. Chad, you got tickets. You're going to see Fall Out Boy. Awesome. Thanks, Spike. Have a fantastic time. You're all right, Dress. What was your favorite song out of all the songs? I know Neon Trees was a big one.

01:28:20 - 01:28:28 | Speaker 1:

Third Eye Blind for me. I haven't heard that song in a while. I'm surprised you didn't throw in any songs from your throwback concert last night.

01:28:28 - 01:28:49 | Speaker 3:

I thought it'd be too obvious, and to be honest with you, I loaded the songs before the concert, so I probably would have otherwise. All right, it's Mojo in the Morning Show. The Dirty's on the way in just a little bit. A phone scam's coming up here on Mojo in the Morning. Spike, you went to your allergist yesterday, and you found out some interesting things. First off, for those who don't know, you have a chicken allergy.

01:28:49 - 01:29:51 | Speaker 1:

Severe allergy to chicken and turkey that will kill me. if i eat it i've been to the er uh four times and they had to trach me and save my life but i went yesterday the allergist to get updated and by the way hello dr doshi he's like the greatest allergist ever shannon turned me on to him he's so awesome he's a big listener of our show big fan of the phone scams um so i went and i had to get updated to see they were testing for some other new allergies and i got poked 47 times on my back oh my god to see if i'm allergic to anything else That is not a comfortable test. No, it's so uncomfortable. I don't know what's worse, the 47 little needles poking me in the back or the cute nurses looking at my hairy fat back. But I found out that people, everybody thinks chicken and turkey is a weird allergy. But I found out people can be allergic to sunlight and allergic to money. Really? Like more specifically, the nickel sulfate that's in coins. Like, they can't touch money.

01:29:51 - 01:29:54 | Speaker 5:

And they'll just get a rash. I was going to say, my bank account seems to be on.

01:29:58 - 01:30:00 | Speaker 1:

So I thought, like, let me ask if anybody...

01:30:00 - 01:30:05 | Speaker 2:

else has a strange allergy because i could tell you i mean this show is full of allergies shannon

01:30:05 - 01:30:18 | Speaker 1:

has a handful of allergies mojo's got avocado i'm anaphylactic to avocado and that's such a weird one that a lot of people haven't heard of like if i go to a restaurant like a mexican restaurant especially and i say that they always think that i just don't want it on my plate or i don't like

01:30:18 - 01:30:30 | Speaker 4:

it but i'm like i can't i can't even touch yeah that's the problem by the way anything when people tell them that they don't like something by saying that they're allergic to something you make it tougher yeah because people doubt it because they hear stories all the time but nobody ever

01:30:30 - 01:30:54 | Speaker 2:

chicken so they think i'm lying they're like just tell me you're a vegetarian i said no i it's i'm highly allergic and they're like okay and then i have to worry like they had the chicken on the salad then they hand picked it off i've had so many run-ins yeah with cross contamination and kitchens use chicken stock to thicken everything to let it last all day and they don't consider that an ingredient because it's not in the dish but they use it to stretch out you know a serving

01:30:54 - 01:30:59 | Speaker 4:

or whatever yeah that same thing with uh gluten and soups and things like that because they use

01:30:59 - 01:31:09 | Speaker 2:

it they thicken it up the thickeners and stuff yeah and they don't consider an ingredient i'm like well my body does i'll die so it'll close my esophagus so one of the things about allergies

01:31:09 - 01:31:13 | Speaker 4:

that are crazy is that there are people that have bad reactions to it and could have weird reactions

01:31:13 - 01:31:32 | Speaker 2:

and then there's death reactions yeah like you won't see my allergies i don't swell up i don't my lips don't get swollen i just all of a sudden my throat closes and i can't breathe so yeah but I was going to say, if anybody has any weird ones that people don't believe, call us. Because I found out you can be allergic to water.

01:31:33 - 01:31:33 | Speaker 4:

Wow.

01:31:34 - 01:31:41 | Speaker 2:

Isn't that crazy? People that touch water, their hands break out in red rashes and hives. And I'm like, how do you do that? Your body's made up of water.

01:31:41 - 01:31:43 | Speaker 4:

Isn't that crazy? Terry, what are you allergic to?

01:31:45 - 01:31:48 | Speaker 3:

So I moved here from Florida, and I'm allergic to the sun and pineapple.

01:31:49 - 01:31:53 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh. Well, you're in a perfect place if you're allergic to the sun. You're not seeing that a lot.

01:31:54 - 01:31:56 | Speaker 3:

I love Michigan.

01:31:56 - 01:31:58 | Speaker 2:

What happens if you're out in the sun?

01:32:00 - 01:32:04 | Speaker 3:

So I'll get hives all over my body and a rash, and it's gross.

01:32:05 - 01:32:07 | Speaker 4:

Wow. That's scary. Hi!

01:32:07 - 01:32:09 | Speaker 2:

Who's the cutie pie?

01:32:10 - 01:32:12 | Speaker 3:

He's allergic to pineapple, too.

01:32:13 - 01:32:15 | Speaker 2:

And that's the worst when you pass it on to your family.

01:32:16 - 01:32:34 | Speaker 4:

What's his name, Terry? What's your name, buddy? Hunter. Hunter. Did we talk to Hunter the other day? Did you call us the other day? He loves talking to you guys. Oh, my God. We've talked to Hunter before. We've got to make Hunter. We do not have any little ones as misfits. Can we make him misfit, Hunter?

01:32:34 - 01:32:35 | Speaker 2:

No, we can't label him a misfit.

01:32:35 - 01:32:40 | Speaker 3:

The misfit kid. Yeah. Do you want to be a misfit?

01:32:40 - 01:32:41 | Speaker 4:

A mini misfit.

01:32:42 - 01:32:45 | Speaker 3:

A mini misfit. I love that. Did you hear him?

01:32:45 - 01:32:52 | Speaker 4:

What did he say when you said, he said, yeah. All right, hold on a second. Grab their number, Lydia. What's up, Rachel?

01:32:52 - 01:33:05 | Speaker 3:

Hi, my daughter actually has a large allergy list. She's allergic to milk, egg white, sesame, soybean, cashew, almonds, and wheat.

01:33:05 - 01:33:09 | Speaker 2:

So it's hard to go out. You can't just go out to a restaurant because everything is.

01:33:10 - 01:33:22 | Speaker 3:

Man. I have to more so watch because soybeans and a lot of things you wouldn't think is, it's in. And then a lot of restaurants uses peanut oil, which, thank God, she actually just passed that food challenge for peanuts.

01:33:22 - 01:33:28 | Speaker 4:

Wow. That's, man. Scary. Scary, scary, scary. How about Marilyn? Marilyn, what are you allergic to?

01:33:29 - 01:33:31 | Speaker 1:

Hi. I'm allergic to cockroaches.

01:33:31 - 01:33:33 | Speaker 4:

Come on. Is that just you're fearful?

01:33:33 - 01:33:35 | Speaker 1:

No, I have that on mine, too. No, I swear.

01:33:36 - 01:33:44 | Speaker 3:

I had the same test that I did when I was in, like, grade 8. And now every time I go to Lebanon, like, my throat swells up because they're all over the stairs. Really?

01:33:44 - 01:33:50 | Speaker 4:

And Shannon, being allergic to cockroaches, is it something that's on them, or what is it?

01:33:50 - 01:33:57 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. That just came up on my list. I've heard of that one before. I mean, there are so many environmental things, but that's actually a pretty popular one from what I understand.

01:33:57 - 01:34:05 | Speaker 4:

What did they do way back when, before they knew of – like, I always wondered that. Like, gluten allergy was not something that just came about. There had to be the gluten allergies years ago.

01:34:05 - 01:34:55 | Speaker 2:

I don't think they knew what to diagnose it in the past, but also I think allergies are more severe. I mean, I would love to do more studies on the additives and preservatives and things we put in our food that change the makeup of how our body processes foods. But I'll tell you one that's the weirdest one I ever heard. I was talking to my friend who's a trainer, and one of her clients said she wasn't coming to class anymore because she was allergic to exercise. I laughed so hard. I said, oh, me too. I'm allergic to exercise too. That's why I can't go to the gym. We Googled it, and it's a thing. there is an actual term for it and it's if you like if your heart rate as soon as your heart rate gets up they they start to get flush and then break out in hives and there's a whole medical name for it and those people have to be really calm and they can't really like if i don't know what they do if they're chased by a bear i guess it's the lesser of you right

01:34:55 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 4:

justine yeah hey

01:35:00 - 01:35:08 | Speaker 5:

This is wild. We talked to somebody that was allergic. Terry talked about the sun earlier on our calls. You're allergic to?

01:35:09 - 01:35:13 | Speaker 4:

The cold, surprisingly enough. I found out when I was in fifth grade, actually.

01:35:13 - 01:35:18 | Speaker 5:

And how cold does it have to be for your allergy to kick out?

01:35:19 - 01:35:38 | Speaker 4:

When I was younger, anything below 30 degrees, I actually wasn't allowed out at recess because I would break out in hives all over my body. so my teachers let me like bring in a person so i could have recess inside but yeah now it's not so bad um i just try not to stay outside too long when it's pretty cold out anything below

01:35:38 - 01:35:48 | Speaker 6:

yeah because we've all seen the meme where people in michigan post every year like why do i live in a place that hurts my face but you're literally your skin will be burning from the cold that's

01:35:48 - 01:36:01 | Speaker 5:

awesome yeah it's like an itchy rash almost interesting wow uh thank you you're not going to be great for you then later today because it's going to be cold and it's going to be wet.

01:36:02 - 01:36:04 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:36:05 - 01:36:12 | Speaker 5:

At 9.30 this morning, we have another shot for you to win. Taylor Swift tickets right now. We'll get you caught up on what's trending in the Dirty on the 30.

01:36:12 - 01:36:21 | Speaker 8:

I'm going to start with this. I don't know if you guys caught it. Yesterday during a press conference, Red Wings team captain Dylan Larkin emotionally responded to his best buddy, Tyler Bertuzzi, being traded to the Boston Bruins.

01:36:22 - 01:36:27 | Speaker 1:

How tough was it to see Tyler go? I mean, you talked about being tired of saying goodbye to teammates this time of year.

01:36:28 - 01:36:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, really difficult with how this season has gone, especially for Burt. But the position our team's in now, it hurts and he's one of my best friends.

01:36:53 - 01:37:23 | Speaker 5:

sorry but it hurts that's tough i um you know i golfed uh a couple of times behind tyler bertuzzi and dylan larkin uh last summer and can i tell you they could be the two nicest guys ever that no they're great with fans the kids kids that would see them on the golf course would walk up to them. First off, they look like they're kids. I know. I mean, they really do.

01:37:24 - 01:37:24 | Speaker 7:

Where were they?

01:37:25 - 01:37:31 | Speaker 5:

Golfing. You want to come golfing? They are so nice to people.

01:37:31 - 01:37:32 | Speaker 7:

I'll drive the beer cart.

01:37:34 - 01:37:53 | Speaker 5:

And they have time. I saw, it was kind of a cute moment. I saw a little kid walk up and say something to them and they were really cool. And then an old dude that must have been like 85 plus years old, and they were equally as nice to him, because I'm normally not nice to old people. But, all right, go ahead, Shannon.

01:37:53 - 01:37:59 | Speaker 6:

I was going to ask Megan now that Tyler's gone. I mean, you were a long-time Puck Bunny. Who's the hottest Red Wing now?

01:37:59 - 01:38:13 | Speaker 7:

Ooh, well, didn't Tyler just get engaged though, too? And I'm a respectful queen. I would never step on that. But isn't Dylan still single? I heard he's had a lot of picks. I know he's got a long-time girlfriend. I was going to say, I thought he had a girlfriend. Oh, Dylan? He's got a lot of money

01:38:13 - 01:38:15 | Speaker 5:

in it, too. Let me just tell you that.

01:38:15 - 01:38:24 | Speaker 7:

I will be a platonic sister wife. I'll come. I'll bring the snacks. I got the show recommendations. I will bring the blankets.

01:38:24 - 01:38:31 | Speaker 5:

And the pitch thing was when he first started off as a rookie. He's no longer doing that stuff. He's grown up. I didn't even know he had a girlfriend. He's matured.

01:38:32 - 01:38:33 | Speaker 1:

Have you talked to him about this?

01:38:34 - 01:38:59 | Speaker 5:

Me? No. Do you know this? I really don't like to bother athletes and stuff. I was telling Kevin when he was in the studio yesterday, talking about some of the Pistons players. Like, I love basketball. I love it. I'm going to the Michigan State game tomorrow. And I get, like, really nervous, you know, talking to, you know, Coach Izzo or talking to any of the players and stuff like that. I like fangirl like Megan does around these guys.

01:38:59 - 01:39:01 | Speaker 7:

I prefer talking to the wives.

01:39:01 - 01:39:05 | Speaker 5:

Yes, that's where you get good gossip.

01:39:05 - 01:39:20 | Speaker 8:

The New York City nightclub sound engineer who Travis Scott allegedly attacked this week says, oh, yeah, Travis gave him the middle finger. punched him in the head. He spent some time in the hospital. He is now talking. All I know about it is his name is Mark.

01:39:21 - 01:39:45 | Speaker 3:

Hello, Mark. I was trying to tell him to lower it so it sounded good for the performance. But he just stuck his middle finger in my face. So I lowered the monitor a little bit so I could talk to him. And that's when he ran around the speaker and attacked me. Obviously, my neck is fucked up. Your neck, your arm? What's happening with you? Oh, my arm is tingly. of pins and needles going down it.

01:39:45 - 01:39:53 | Speaker 8:

Again, reports that Travis Scott also called 12 grand, caused, excuse me, 12 grand worth of damage to a speaker and video screen before running out of that nightclub. Can I tell you

01:39:53 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 5:

when you did that story earlier this morning, all I kept thinking about were the days when I would get into fights with Randy and Mark, our engineers.

01:40:00 - 01:40:21 | Speaker 4:

And to me, this is the better thing. Don't get into a fight with the guy that controls your mics. You know what I mean? Oh, 100%. All right. The sound engineer guy controls how good or bad your show is going to sound, Travis. Like, don't be an idiot. I was an idiot and would fight with those guys. And then what are you going to get out of that? You know, you get more bees with honey.

01:40:21 - 01:41:30 | Speaker 3:

Speaking of idiots, Chris Brown threw a fan's phone into the crowd after she refused to give him attention. This is just, couldn't be more Chris Brown. Happened after Chris invited this lucky fan, I say lucky very sarcastically, to join him on stage during his performance of Take You Down. Well, instead of enjoying the moment, this woman did what I think a lot of people would do, and she whipped out her phone to film, like, hey, I'm on stage standing right next to Chris Brown. And at first, Chris gently took the phone out of her hands and put it away, kind of encouraging her to just, you know, enjoy what's happening. However, as he danced around her, even at one point giving her a lap dance, She kept filming Well, he didn't like that So he snatched the phone from her hands And chucked it into the crowd So this woman is mad Well, yeah Obviously She throws her hands in the air The stage lights go out And the whole awkward encounter comes to an end Thankfully, I heard she was able to get her phone back I don't know what sort of condition it was in But she did get it back Erin Carter's mom does not believe her son died due to an overdose and she's mad the police aren't investigating his death as a homicide

01:41:30 - 01:41:51 | Speaker 2:

this is jane carter i'm sorry i got chris brown still playing i was very concerned because you know he had obviously had a lot of people that were harassing him uh on the internet so are you suggesting that somebody may have done him harm somebody who was going after him online oh

01:41:51 - 01:42:44 | Speaker 3:

absolutely wow so you you may have seen this earlier this week too and i tried not to look but it came up in my feed on daily mail anyway she made the decision to release pictures of the bathroom where aaron was found dead in the tub and just kind of as a push for investigators to keep going here she said she knows aaron was a drug addict she didn't believe he wanted to die nor does she think that he would ever huff enough aerosol to kill himself uh she also said cops did do a welfare check. They went to Aaron's home just hours before his body was found, so Jane Carter, again, wants investigators to take a much closer look at possibilities of foul play here. And the University of Detroit Mercy's Antoine Davis came three points shy of Pete Maravich's NCAA Division I record last night. He entered the game needing 26 points to surpass Maravich, but finished with 22 in the loss.

01:42:44 - 01:43:02 | Speaker 1:

Oh my gosh. This is really my first time really seeing it, like just seeing it up there and so talking about his jersey especially because you know most people don't get their jersey retired to four or five years down the line maybe even 10 it's due or die time for us now so you know we're just i'm really focused on winning so if i have that's crazy though five

01:43:02 - 01:43:34 | Speaker 4:

points 30 points tomorrow and we win i mean he he only needed three more points and i know he shot a three at the end missed it but couldn't they have like the other team just like backed off a little bit and not tried to there was a i i saw in the the handshake line at the end his dad's the coach mike davis he actually used to be the coach at indiana and um it looked like there was like a little kind of fight thing between uh antoine davis and another player from this other team and i wonder if it was about that like those guys were not going to let him break that record oh

01:43:34 - 01:43:39 | Speaker 3:

You are so welcome Don't go anywhere We got to take a break and look at traffic and weather and this crazy forecast. And we'll be right back. Don't go anywhere.

01:44:15 - 01:44:25 | Speaker 1:

Don't like the weather? Just wait 10 minutes. You're listening to Mojo in the Morning. Now back to the Midwest number one morning show. Mojo in the Morning.

01:44:29 - 01:44:46 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning. If you are getting married, if you're engaged to get married and you are looking for some ideas for your wedding, you can join the person who's engaged to be married and looking for ideas to get married.

01:44:46 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 3:

I've hosted the Andiamo wedding show for probably 10 years now, and it's kind of cool this time around to be a bride hosting it. But it's happening on Sunday at the Andiamo in Warren.

01:45:00 - 01:45:41 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to be there from 1 until 3. You can purchase tickets at the door. They're $5 each. You can also purchase them online. But all of the best vendors under one roof. And I like this wedding show in particular because it's not so overwhelming. It's just they've got the best of the best at Andiamo. And you can, you know, go around. And we're giving away all sorts of amazing prizes. So a chance to get some of these items absolutely free for your wedding. Do you need somebody to help you try a cake? Okay, so Christine's Cakes and Pastries, which is my favorite, favorite ever from the East Side of all time, they're going to be there, and they do boxes of cake, which I hope they're doing again this year. It's the best, so yes, just come.

01:45:42 - 01:45:46 | Speaker 3:

I love the boxes of cake because you can eat them in your car and throw away the evidence before you get home.

01:45:46 - 01:45:53 | Speaker 5:

Six different kinds of cake at home. I literally love her. Yeah, I just volunteer a tribute. Yeah, one to three on Sunday.

01:45:53 - 01:46:21 | Speaker 1:

Yesterday was a really powerful day in the Michigan Senate. They had some speakers that came in that had, you know, firsthand accounts of what the latest school shooting at Michigan State University has done for their lives. And last hour you played some audio. Who is in this audio again?

01:46:21 - 01:46:30 | Speaker 4:

So this is the dad and the sister of Hannah St. Juliana, who was killed. She lost her life tragically in the Oxford High School shooting.

01:46:31 - 01:46:33 | Speaker 1:

Speaking about the school shooting there.

01:46:34 - 01:46:44 | Speaker 2:

It feels as though I haven't been able to take a breath, but how could I? I haven't heard Hannah's laugh or gone into her room without it being empty and dark in over a year.

01:46:44 - 01:46:55 | Speaker 3:

It's not a matter of if. It's a matter of when this is going to happen again. and it's going to touch you. Don't wait.

01:46:56 - 01:48:36 | Speaker 1:

They also had some parents of some of the kids that were involved in the Michigan State shooting. They had some family members that were there talking about the loss of these three innocent lives and then all those that have been affected by still the shooting. We can't forget those that are still even in the hospital recovering. So they were doing this yesterday in the state state Senate. And while they were doing this in the state Senate and they're trying to, you know, come up with some game plans tomorrow, I'm very intrigued when I go to Michigan State to the basketball game to see what it's like to be at a game after this. Like, I know that Michigan State has played basketball, and they remember played that game in, got one of my brain farting on what's the name of the stadium, Chrysler Center in Ann Arbor, and how powerful that was. I mean, we all saw that, either watched the game or saw the picture of Tom Izzo crying, you know, at half court and stuff. It's going to be wild just to see how the students are in the student section in the is zone. But Mike was talking about something before the show even started that just kind of makes you realize, like, these kids that are going to school nowadays, they're doing stuff in school and having to do stuff at school that we never had to do. Did anybody on the show, maybe KP, did anybody on the show have school shooting drills?

01:48:37 - 01:48:37 | Speaker 5:

I did.

01:48:37 - 01:48:40 | Speaker 1:

You did have school shooting drills? After Columbine. After Columbine.

01:48:40 - 01:48:41 | Speaker 5:

You started doing them, yeah.

01:48:41 - 01:48:44 | Speaker 1:

But it wasn't a ton of them, was it, like it is nowadays?

01:48:45 - 01:48:45 | Speaker 5:

No, it was a lot of them.

01:48:46 - 01:48:46 | Speaker 1:

Was it?

01:48:46 - 01:48:49 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Were they Alice drills? Mm-hmm. Is that what they called them then? Yeah.

01:48:50 - 01:49:01 | Speaker 5:

We called them Code Grays, but that might have just been the kid term for Alice drills. No, I think we had just mostly tornado drills. Really? We didn't have any school shooting.

01:49:01 - 01:49:10 | Speaker 1:

You're kidding me. No. Even in, because it's wild, because I was talking to Jacob, my son, who is actually 25, so you're what, 23?

01:49:11 - 01:49:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:49:11 - 01:49:15 | Speaker 1:

And he was talking about some of the school shooting drills that they would have to do.

01:49:15 - 01:49:15 | Speaker 5:

I guess.

01:49:16 - 01:49:18 | Speaker 1:

I wonder when it became mandatory. I wonder if it was probably.

01:49:18 - 01:49:31 | Speaker 5:

We, you know, our drills were, we really didn't specify what kind of drill it was. We had a lot of drills where we would leave the school and go to a different building. So I feel like they might have grouped that all into the same type of drill they didn't specify.

01:49:32 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 1:

So now it's Luke said it's I mean, it's so often that they have it. And I was talking to Luke because he's going to be going to college next year at Michigan State. And I was asking him questions about, you know, what have his friends been talking about or how things are different since going back to class? And Luke said it said it's been something that's always been on his mind, but it's even more on his mind now. And I think a lot was he had so many friends that were.

01:50:00 - 01:50:11 | Speaker 2:

you know from Oxford so they had to go through that shooting and now he has so many friends that are actually on campus at Michigan State and he's like he's like dad it's it's so common

01:50:11 - 01:50:52 | Speaker 1:

right now it's like so scary that's so sad it really is kids can't put themselves into that situation I remember texting my daughter who is at Grand Valley but all her friends at Michigan State were chatting with her that night as things were unfolding and my other daughter's also in college she's 18 about to have a birthday and they they um it's just hard because you're there's not much i feel like we can do to comfort them we can distract them we can show them good news happy news we can try and relieve their anxiety but it's hard when you don't have an answer for them and when they're talking to their own friends that are hiding in their dorm closet and stuff like

01:50:52 - 01:50:58 | Speaker 2:

and honestly even uh even aside from the the shootings everything in the world is bad right

01:50:58 - 01:51:44 | Speaker 1:

yeah i mean we keep talking about the amount of bad news and events that they digest on a daily basis and of course we all talk about the screen time and the amount you know the whole world at their fingertips at this age it's so much it's such a heavy weight aside and the peer pressure and all the anxieties that come from social media. But it's just, we didn't know, at our age, we didn't know about every bad thing that happened every day. You know, there were certain ones. I remember watching the space shuttle explode in school because we were all watching it because the teacher was on board. I remember, like, attempts on presidents' lives and stuff like that. But otherwise, you didn't see daily news. Kids didn't watch news. They didn't have, you didn't have the social media posting news.

01:51:44 - 01:52:14 | Speaker 2:

And I don't remember the news covering murders like they do now. Like, I know that if you look at murder statistics, that there are stats that will show you that murder rates have gone up in certain places. But I don't remember murders being such a huge thing on television and, like, you know, in the news. Like, it's always, I'm sorry, Megan, let me finish this. If it bleeds, it leads has always been the talk of the thing. And honestly, to me, it didn't feel like it was that when I was younger. But what were you saying?

01:52:14 - 01:52:19 | Speaker 3:

How much of that is now we're on a very vicious 24-hour news cycle?

01:52:19 - 01:52:19 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's the thing.

01:52:20 - 01:52:32 | Speaker 4:

That and we're inundated with it everywhere. So there's not only TV. There's social media. There's media. There's print. There's people. People go live on TikTok when there's a shootout and you're watching live events. So many different venues for it.

01:52:32 - 01:52:50 | Speaker 2:

You know what's amazing? When's the last time that you went on social media and saw somebody go live and they were just giggling and doing stuff that was happy? I always feel like I'm either being sold something or it's something negative like they're in a confrontational situation. You never see somebody just live on a Ferris wheel.

01:52:51 - 01:53:02 | Speaker 1:

That's why I love when Megan and Jillian just go live and they're just giddy about it. Oh, I love that. I love watching because it's just a whole lot of nothing. It's great. It's fun because it's just mindless and it's positive.

01:53:02 - 01:53:09 | Speaker 3:

I go live for like two hours pretty much every Saturday on TikTok and just hang out with people. And it's a great time. It's just nice.

01:53:09 - 01:53:10 | Speaker 1:

There's just not enough of it, right?

01:53:10 - 01:53:37 | Speaker 2:

That was seriously why I wanted to go to that concert. I really didn't want to go to that 90s concert because it was during the week and I knew I was going to be tired today. But when I was sitting there listening to these songs from artists who can't sing them anymore, I was going, oh, my God, I remember where I was and when I was and stuff like that. And even last night, Vanilla Ice was talking about how you didn't have social media. You had MySpace. That was it, right? And Napster and all that. What's up?

01:53:37 - 01:53:40 | Speaker 1:

and I put our phones down last night and just played board games for a few hours.

01:53:40 - 01:53:44 | Speaker 2:

That's awesome. That's like the best. What's going on, Jennifer?

01:53:45 - 01:54:45 | Speaker 5:

Hello. Hi, this is Jennifer in Waterford. I talked to you guys before with my son, Harrison, and I even met you at the Halloween Trunk and Treat. I don't know if you remember, but so Harrison's in kindergarten here in Waterford, and they have these drills for what he calls the bad guy, and um it's very sad because you know i grew up in the 70s we only had tornado drills fire drills um and they don't tell us so the first time it happened he got in the car and he's like mommy there was a bad guy at school today and i'm like what are you talking about and he's like yeah there was a bad guy and we had to hide under the um desk and i said are you sure i'm sure it was probably just a drill not even knowing they did drills like this come to find out you know it was a drill and they keep doing them and not letting us know which is i think terrible because your kid gets in the car and they want to talk about it and you're caught off guard yeah they should

01:54:45 - 01:55:29 | Speaker 2:

definitely give you forewarning at your school i i'm shocked that they don't that's wild mike although mike what did you mike what did you find out yesterday about cecily school so they do this and i don't know if they do this everywhere but they they have a it's called a therapy dog Thank you.

01:55:00 - 01:55:50 | Speaker 4:

And his name's Mystic, or her name's Mystic. And it is a dog that is in the building at all times. And teachers had to sign if they didn't want their kids around the dog or whatever. But it's basically if the kid is anxious or if something like this was to happen, it is supposed to be there as a way to calm them down. And part of me is like, that's really cool and forward thinking and very cool that we're trying to do something in situations like this. But the other part of me is, like, why do we have to get to the point where we're putting an animal in there? And how is that helping mental health, really? I mean, it's a great idea. It's a great start. But, like, part of me is, like, why are we to this point? How am I supposed to explain that to my daughter? There's an animal in the building to try to make you feel okay because I can't be there to go and make you feel okay right now. But, see, I don't know if you need to say that to her.

01:55:50 - 01:55:53 | Speaker 2:

No, I think that is a very good comforting thing for them.

01:55:53 - 01:56:37 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I could tell you Dakota, the yellow lab, was introduced to my girls' school the year they were leaving. And they said it has been so helpful. In fact, I think Dakota went to Michigan State last week to help students. They took the therapy dog up there. But they said it really helps to lessen social anxiety, helps the kids. Really? It just calms kids and brings them out of their own mind sometimes. if you know there's a student just having a crying fit going through anxiety or depression they say sometimes the dog can help to pull them out of that but also helps um bonds with students helps reduce fights and incidents in the hallway it just creates a sense of common calmness and joy

01:56:37 - 01:56:50 | Speaker 3:

overseeing the animal do they talk in your school because of jennifer still on with us here mike do they tell you about the the drills and things that they do with cecily um so she no actually

01:56:50 - 01:56:58 | Speaker 4:

now that i think about it she they may have mentioned it in the beginning of the year um and she talks about it like it's no thing she talks about it like it's crazy yeah yeah

01:56:58 - 01:57:28 | Speaker 2:

like it's just something we did we did this harrison's excited because he gets to hide under the desk yeah and that's not like he's like i like bad guy days i get to hide under the desk And I'm like, no, you don't like bad kiting. But it is like they're working with the principal to let us know because all other districts, after the fact, will send an email or send something that says, hey, just let you know today we had a drill. Your child may talk about it. Yes. Yeah, we would get those emails.

01:57:29 - 01:57:40 | Speaker 5:

I wonder if that, I'm not a psychologist, but I wonder if on a kindergarten level, if they're saying it's maybe not, you don't want to scare kids. You want to just get them to learn the drill, and then later they can realize the severity of it.

01:57:41 - 01:57:45 | Speaker 3:

Did you guys have nuclear drills in school? No.

01:57:46 - 01:57:48 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, we did because we lived near a nuclear power plant.

01:57:48 - 01:57:53 | Speaker 3:

We did because of that movie, The Morning After. Do you remember that movie? Oh, yeah. That was horrible.

01:57:53 - 01:57:54 | Speaker 5:

Everybody thought the Russian was going to bomb us.

01:57:54 - 01:57:57 | Speaker 3:

There was always a talk about that, and we had nuclear drills.

01:57:57 - 01:57:58 | Speaker 5:

What would you do for that?

01:57:59 - 01:58:32 | Speaker 3:

Basically, kiss your ass goodbye. No, you would go in. There was almost kind of like a tornado drill. You would go into the rooms that were more of the solid rooms. I don't think it was going to protect you. We would go into the science room. I remember that, the science lab room, and that was like the place. But really, I don't know if they even knew if it was going to be something, if there was a nuclear war. The forewarning, I believe, that they felt like you would have is you would have enough time to be able to get to a safe area, like the basement or whatever.

01:58:32 - 01:58:36 | Speaker 1:

I thought you just had to get inside and stay inside. Isn't that what you're supposed to do?

01:58:36 - 01:58:38 | Speaker 3:

It was kind of like that, yeah. Kind of like tornadoes were.

01:58:38 - 01:58:39 | Speaker 5:

Away from windows, you know.

01:58:40 - 01:58:45 | Speaker 1:

Don't go outside, and if you were outside, wash yourself immediately.

01:58:45 - 01:59:45 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I'll be honest with you, with all the craziness that's going on in this world, and something obviously we're talking about, and we're going to get off of this now, because I hope that our show is a release of not doing what you see on TV and the news, and then social media. But it just feels like there's just so much out there. And honestly, that's why when we do a segment like Tell Me Something Good or we get to volunteer with our time team when we get out and about or our break-and-entering Christmas wish, when we do that and we get to meet people and we start realizing that people are actually genuinely good people. Majority of people in this world are good people. And we need to be community. We need to have community and just be there for each other. And it's weird that we're only there for each other when there's a time of need or it's Christmas, right? And we've got to try to do it a little bit more often. I just love when people, all they get out of it is that I mispronounce the word nuclear. Nuclear.

01:59:46 - 01:59:52 | Speaker 5:

You know what? That's the one constant we can always rely on our audiences. Not listening to what we're talking about. Just make sure they correct you.

01:59:52 - 01:59:53 | Speaker 3:

Nuclear Wisconsin.

01:59:53 - 01:59:54 | Speaker 5:

You know what we're talking about.

01:59:55 - 02:00:00 | Speaker 3:

Yes. All right. A bunch of stuff to get to. Let me first, though, plug this.

02:00:00 - 02:00:45 | Speaker 7:

Mojo gives you a baby. Our good friend Dr. Shama over at IVF Michigan and the Ohio Fertility Centers are teaming up again with Mojo in the Morning, and we are giving away IVF. 02:00:45 - 02:00:50 | Speaker 1:

If you just text the word baby to 95500, we'll send you everything, and I have to say legally, message and data rights apply.

02:00:51 - 02:01:19 | Speaker 7:

So it's Mojo in the Morning. We talk sometimes about some, you know, heavy things. we recently just did but now we're going to talk about something that is not so heavy and it's courtesy of kp and lydia our producers of this radio show kp our executive producer lydia our uh executive phone producer and uh you guys were having a conversation that we all are going to participate in all of us on the show but also the listeners are

02:01:19 - 02:01:33 | Speaker 3:

and what what was it about lydia cracks me up she she makes me die laughing so we were hanging out and she goes, KP, if you were a cartoon character or a movie show character, you would be Junie B. Jones.

02:01:34 - 02:01:35 | Unknown:

Junie B. Jones.

02:01:35 - 02:01:43 | Speaker 3:

I like the jobber. Lucy Reese. Child, that is just not paying attention. And yes, I completely agree.

02:01:43 - 02:01:49 | Speaker 5:

And KP's hair is never a mess, but I imagine in her head if she pictured herself, her hair would be a mess

02:01:49 - 02:01:56 | Speaker 3:

because she's all over the place. Sticking her tongue out, missing the school bus. It's like that is me in a nutshell.

02:01:56 - 02:01:58 | Speaker 7:

Has anybody ever told you that?

02:01:58 - 02:01:59 | Speaker 3:

That I am.

02:01:59 - 02:02:00 | Speaker 7:

You're Junie B. Jones?

02:02:00 - 02:02:05 | Speaker 3:

No, but I read those books as a kid and I think my mom read them to me on purpose because I was definitely Junie B. Jones.

02:02:06 - 02:02:10 | Speaker 7:

So wait, did you fire back at Lydia and tell her? Oh, yeah. What did you say she was?

02:02:10 - 02:02:14 | Speaker 3:

I actually asked her, like, Lydia, what do you think you would be?

02:02:14 - 02:02:24 | Speaker 5:

I think that I'd be Franklin the Turtle. I honestly resemble him a little bit. Hey, it's Franklin. So I have a character for each and every one of you.

02:02:24 - 02:02:28 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. Wait, stop it right now. This is going to be awesome.

02:02:29 - 02:02:33 | Speaker 5:

You really put some thought into this. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. I love this.

02:02:34 - 02:02:38 | Speaker 7:

Because I already have one for myself, but I want to see how close you are to me. Go ahead.

02:02:38 - 02:02:41 | Speaker 5:

So I'm going to start with Mojo. Mojo is Arthur.

02:02:41 - 02:02:43 | Unknown:

Arthur. Come on. I'm fine.

02:02:44 - 02:02:47 | Speaker 5:

When you wear your glasses, especially. Oh, yeah. Really?

02:02:48 - 02:02:53 | Speaker 7:

Hold on. I'm going to look. All right. Let me see. Oh, my God, yes, you're right. Oh, geez.

02:02:53 - 02:03:02 | Speaker 5:

Right next to Arthur, we have his sister, D.W., which is Megan. Megan is D.W. Wait, that's disrespectful.

02:03:02 - 02:03:06 | Speaker 4:

No, it's not. I told you, it's going to go one or two ways. D.W. was cool. She's the coolest.

02:03:07 - 02:03:13 | Speaker 5:

She was not the coolest. Yes, she does. She puts Arthur and everyone else in their place, and I feel like you're really good at doing that.

02:03:13 - 02:03:16 | Speaker 3:

D.W. had the funniest jokes on Arthur.

02:03:16 - 02:03:20 | Speaker 5:

If someone compared me to D.W., I'd be so honored. Oh, yeah. I don't.

02:03:20 - 02:03:21 | Speaker 4:

I disagree.

02:03:21 - 02:03:27 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. Oh, no. I'm really sad you feel that way. Okay, so moving on to Spike.

02:03:28 - 02:03:31 | Speaker 4:

I want to know what Megan thinks.

02:03:31 - 02:03:36 | Speaker 3:

Which character do you think you would be? Do Spike's and come back to me.

02:03:36 - 02:03:37 | Speaker 6:

Let me think about it for a second.

02:03:37 - 02:03:49 | Speaker 7:

See, I was actually going to say I was more Peter Griffin. That's what I was going to say about mine. But I'll take Arthur over Peter Griffin. All right, go ahead. So who is Shannon?

02:03:49 - 02:03:53 | Speaker 5:

Shannon is going to be Belle from the Princess Bees. Oh, you know what?

02:03:53 - 02:03:56 | Speaker 7:

That's bullcrap that she gets to be something good. Wow, Megan.

02:03:56 - 02:04:02 | Speaker 6:

You bitches gave me DW and her Belle? I almost just cursed. We're kissing ass right now.

02:04:02 - 02:04:04 | Speaker 7:

I'm so tired of Shannon always getting the good things.

02:04:04 - 02:04:14 | Speaker 6:

Also, if anybody is a Belle stan on this show, it is absolutely me. I am the reader. Oh, I almost just cursed again. Be Belle!

02:04:14 - 02:04:22 | Speaker 3:

I'll be DW. When I was in elementary school, we used to fight over who used to be Hermione Granger when we played Harry Potter on the playground.

02:04:22 - 02:04:23 | Speaker 5:

They always made me Ginny.

02:04:24 - 02:04:26 | Speaker 7:

All right. Who else? Spike?

02:04:26 - 02:04:28 | Speaker 5:

Spike, you are going to be Squidward from SpongeBob.

02:04:30 - 02:04:30 | Speaker 4:

That's fair.

02:04:31 - 02:04:34 | Speaker 5:

Come on. That doesn't even have to be Spike.

02:04:34 - 02:04:37 | Speaker 7:

Wait, wait, wait. Hold on. Before you move over to the next one, Squidward, would you like to?

02:04:38 - 02:04:55 | Speaker 2:

I took a BuzzFeed quiz once on which cartoon character would you? And it said Monsters, Inc. And I was like, well, which one? And everybody was like, you're all of them. You're Sully, you're Mike Wazowski, you're Randall, the slimy guy. Living a pineapple under the sea.

02:04:58 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 7:

Okay, Mike.

02:05:00 - 02:05:02 | Speaker 5:

Last but not least, Mike, you are Curious George.

02:05:03 - 02:05:05 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. Like the monkey?

02:05:05 - 02:05:05 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:05:06 - 02:05:09 | Speaker 2:

The monkey that doesn't talk. The monkey that's...

02:05:09 - 02:05:19 | Speaker 5:

He kind of squeaks in the cartoon. But, like, do you watch the way he walks? Like, he, like, just... Not saying that you walk weird or you trap on me, but... Like a toddler? You're giving Curious George. Yeah, right.

02:05:19 - 02:05:32 | Speaker 2:

I would have said Mike Wazowski, because if you see him, every time he's, like, trying to do something, like the camera... Remember the commercial in Monsters, Inc., where the camera covers his face at the end? And he's like, this is my chance, this is my chance. And he's always got a microphone in his hand.

02:05:33 - 02:05:34 | Speaker 4:

That is actually a great one.

02:05:34 - 02:05:50 | Speaker 1:

By the way, Lydia, great job on picking those. Those were good. Those were really good. It was funny because I was trying to think of one, and the only person that I could think of one that's perfect is your boyfriend, Steve Gabara, is Gru.

02:05:52 - 02:05:54 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh.

02:05:54 - 02:05:56 | Speaker 1:

And you're going to see him today, right, KP?

02:05:56 - 02:05:58 | Speaker 4:

I am. We're going to go get some trucks today.

02:05:58 - 02:06:00 | Speaker 1:

Tell him that Mojo said that he is Gru.

02:06:01 - 02:06:02 | Speaker 4:

I will pass that along.

02:06:03 - 02:06:08 | Speaker 1:

Actually, it's funny. Did you ever see his bitmoji that he uses? His bitmoji.

02:06:08 - 02:06:09 | Speaker 4:

It's really accurate, actually.

02:06:09 - 02:06:18 | Speaker 1:

Well, it used to look exactly like Mr. 305, you know, like Pitbull. It still kind of does. But now it's got a little Gru going to him, so I kind of like that.

02:06:18 - 02:06:24 | Speaker 2:

Mojo 928 text and said, you're Quagmire from Family Guy because you always bring up all the dirty sexual topics. That is true.

02:06:24 - 02:06:27 | Speaker 1:

Somebody said Fred Flitz. Fred Flitz. I like that.

02:06:27 - 02:06:29 | Speaker 3:

Honestly, that's a great one.

02:06:29 - 02:06:32 | Speaker 1:

That is a really good one. I'd like to be fried. What's going on, Tara?

02:06:33 - 02:06:38 | Speaker 7:

You guys are way off. Megan is Angelica from the Rugrats. Oh, Angelica.

02:06:39 - 02:06:40 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Oh, my God. The mean one again?

02:06:40 - 02:06:41 | Unknown:

From the Rugrats.

02:06:41 - 02:06:44 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. And Megan is Tommy for sure.

02:06:44 - 02:06:49 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Mike, so we got Angelica and Tommy for Mike and Megan here.

02:06:50 - 02:06:56 | Speaker 7:

Yes, and what's the little twins' name? That could be Shannon and what's the twins? I kind of can't remember.

02:06:56 - 02:07:02 | Speaker 6:

It's Bill and Lil. Yes, Bill and Lil. That's Mojo and Spike.

02:07:03 - 02:07:05 | Speaker 2:

Well, there's actually a spike on Rugrats, isn't there?

02:07:06 - 02:07:07 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, the dog.

02:07:08 - 02:07:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, Tommy Pickles' dog.

02:07:09 - 02:07:22 | Speaker 1:

Can I ask, though, why is it that whenever we do something like this or say what TV character reminds you of you, Shannon gets like Jennifer Aniston. Wait, I didn't pick the damn thing. No, I know, but for some reason, can somebody look at Shannon in a different light, please?

02:07:23 - 02:07:26 | Speaker 4:

Honestly, I was telling Lydia that I think Shannon is DW.

02:07:26 - 02:07:30 | Speaker 7:

I loved D.W. Girl, I'll take D.W.

02:07:31 - 02:07:31 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:07:32 - 02:07:35 | Speaker 7:

Megan is definitely it. I'll come from the road, Grant. So I love you, Megan.

02:07:36 - 02:07:38 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I like how you have to say I love you, Megan.

02:07:38 - 02:07:47 | Speaker 6:

I didn't like that tone at the end either. Because what you said was Megan's a psychopath who destroyed her dolls and was really mean to all of the other kids. But I love you.

02:07:48 - 02:07:53 | Speaker 4:

Megan, I feel like you give me Meg from Hercules vibes.

02:07:53 - 02:07:58 | Speaker 6:

Ooh, that's a compliment. I would 100% take that. That is a compliment.

02:07:59 - 02:08:45 | Speaker 1:

My favorite is if you ever talk to or see interviewed or listen to a podcast, any of the people who are the creators of South Park or the creators of Family Guy, and you say, who was the person that they came up with? And when they tell you who the person was and you go look them up or see what they're all about, they're almost dead on to that. Like the animated character. I often thought to myself, I'm like, that would be so great if we could have, what's his name from Family Guy? Why am I brain farting now? Magmaier? No, Seth Meyers. Seth Meyers. Or Seth. McFarland. McFarland. If we have Seth McFarland spend like a week with us and then give us characters. Casey is going to give Megan a compliment here. Who do you think Megan is?

02:08:46 - 02:08:56 | Speaker 7:

I think she's like Tinkerbell because how cute she is. There you go. And you know, she's like really creative with her style. when she, like, makes her outfit in that Tinkerbell movie.

02:08:57 - 02:09:03 | Speaker 6:

I don't know. She just reminds me of Megan. Thank you for being the only nice recommendation. I appreciate you.

02:09:03 - 02:09:06 | Speaker 2:

I love you. Isn't Tinkerbell mean in that movie, too, though, at one point?

02:09:07 - 02:09:11 | Speaker 6:

Okay. Well, if I like Tinkerbell, I only survive with praise and applause.

02:09:13 - 02:09:20 | Speaker 4:

Be part of the show. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:09:21 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 1:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. So I have been home with Luke by myself, wifeless, for the last five days while my wife has been hanging out with her friend Jenny. Jenny is from Cleveland, and Chelsea and Jenny have just been spending the week together, kind of doing like a girl's week. And Jenny just recently went through a divorce, and she had a couple of work things that she had to go to. And I don't know if you experienced this, any of you guys, Spike or Shannon, that have gone through divorces. But Jenny did not want to go to her work functions single. And she felt really weird. Do you remember the first time that you went to a work?

02:10:00 - 02:10:03 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I went to a lot of home single, but, um, yeah.

02:10:03 - 02:10:10 | Speaker 1:

Like, would you be able to go to an out of town business trip that people were bringing their spouses with by yourself the first one afterwards? Like, how weird would that be?

02:10:10 - 02:10:13 | Speaker 3:

Yes, and I mean, I did, but it's hard. It is awkward.

02:10:14 - 02:12:45 | Speaker 1:

So, Chelsea, so Jenny brought Chelsea with, and they have had, like, the time of their lives. And actually, Jenny said, even if she gets into another relationship, she might just bring Chelsea with her to every one of them because they've been, like, having so much fun. Yeah. And, like, the life of the business trip. So long story short, I am by myself. Oh. Oh, where, where, where? Stop it. I've been by myself the whole week having to fend. You know what the hardest part of being by yourself is? Two things. One, freaking dogs. I got to like race home all the time to go feed these freaking dogs. Like, honestly, I'm going to say this to you. Don't get a dog anybody that wants a dog. Anybody that wants it or, you know, get a cat or something, something that fends for themselves because they are worse than a baby. They're worse than a child trying to take care of. Number two, sleeping. I can't sleep. It's tough sleeping without Chelsea next to me. And it's weird because we had times in our marriage where we slept in separate beds. And I was able to sleep and fall asleep great. But we've been in the same bed now for well over a year and a half and been going to bed at the same time. And it's like nice to be able to go to bed and have somebody to talk to. I even miss watching Real Housewives with her. It's been so tough to not be able to have your partner in bed with you. And it's gotten to a point, and I don't know if anybody's ever done this before, that the first couple of nights I could not fall asleep. I had the hardest time. And then I thought to myself, I think I know what it is. Her smell. I don't have Chelsea's smell next to me. So I went into our dirty clothes and she had some dirty clothes that were there in her, you know, in the hamper since, you know, before she left. I grabbed those dirty clothes and I have them laying on the bed next to me. And at night I will actually sleep with her dirty clothes. Is that weird to do? I don't think so at all. Has anybody ever done that at all? Like where maybe even on a business trip or something or went away with friends? You brought your significant other Or spouses Don't get weird It's not underwear or anything You did that once haven't you No never It's going a lot in December There were no underwear in there Otherwise I probably would have Actually it was Two of the things were the last thing That she was sleeping in So the last thing that she actually went to bed in

02:12:45 - 02:13:03 | Speaker 3:

I don't do it with Wes per se But I do it with my kids When I miss my kids a ton when it's an Andrew week because Andrew and I do every other week with the kids. I miss them so much. I'll go into their rooms and they both sleep with tons and tons of blankets and I'll grab blankets from each of their beds and sleep with them.

02:13:04 - 02:13:06 | Speaker 1:

You feel like they're there with you, right?

02:13:07 - 02:13:09 | Speaker 3:

I mean, no, but it does help.

02:13:09 - 02:13:29 | Speaker 1:

No, but I mean, it gives you at least like the subconscious feeling of a little bit of comfort. Yeah, that you're close to them. And a lot of times, I mean, I actually knew some moms that were friends of ours, that are friends of ours, when their kids were younger and they went through a divorce, they would sleep with their kids' stuffed animals. They would have the stuffed animals in there because they wanted to be able to have it.

02:13:29 - 02:13:30 | Speaker 3:

I've actually done that many, many times.

02:13:31 - 02:13:38 | Speaker 1:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Hi, Mojo in the morning. Hello.

02:13:39 - 02:13:44 | Speaker 4:

Hello. How are you there? This is Phil, the trucker Phil. What's up, trucker Phil?

02:13:44 - 02:13:56 | Speaker 1:

Oh, we are number one with truckers right here, right? Oh, that is such a... Oh, hey, no, I was going to say, I was going to play. I was supposed to be playing a trucker sound there, but it didn't play. Go ahead.

02:13:57 - 02:14:11 | Speaker 4:

All right. Mojo. Yes. Okay, you're listening to this. Okay. Hug the pillow when your wife, she leaves down. Yes. Hug the pillow and her smell will be in the pillow. I'm telling you, that works for me every time.

02:14:11 - 02:14:22 | Speaker 1:

Can I tell you something? I have her pillow and I've been hugging it And I got it there And I told Chelsea I'd do that And she was like, ew It kind of grossed her out a little bit That I was hugging the pillow

02:14:22 - 02:14:24 | Speaker 4:

Hey, it works

02:14:24 - 02:14:37 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, exactly Yeah, I'll do the pillow thing once in a while Megan came home super late last night I was going to bed early and she was out for work And so I'm going to snuggle up to the pillow a little bit

02:14:37 - 02:14:39 | Speaker 1:

Really? Do you ever put that pillow between the legs?

02:14:40 - 02:14:41 | Speaker 2:

No, no

02:14:41 - 02:14:52 | Speaker 1:

Try it give it a whirl give it a whirl exactly julie hello hi hey good morning guys so um my boyfriend

02:14:52 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 3:

about a year ago he started working night shift and when i get home from work i work morning shift we have about 40

02:15:00 - 02:15:04 | Speaker 6:

minutes of seeing each other so we don't sleep with each other anymore and i sleep with his shirt

02:15:04 - 02:15:15 | Speaker 3:

at night right next to me you know here's an idea you ever think about wrapping his shirt around his pillow so it looks like it's a human being there well i sleep with all of the pillows

02:15:15 - 02:15:20 | Speaker 6:

when he's gone yeah there's no pillows to wrap that's actually it'd be interesting you you know

02:15:20 - 02:15:29 | Speaker 3:

what we we went to lovers lane not that long ago for that little promotion that we did do they have a human body. You can wrap them up in your spouse's clothes. I wouldn't be surprised.

02:15:29 - 02:15:30 | Speaker 1:

There was a doll.

02:15:31 - 02:15:34 | Speaker 3:

Would that be weird for Chelsea if she comes home and sees that?

02:15:34 - 02:15:37 | Speaker 7:

I don't think they're making those dolls to snuggle.

02:15:37 - 02:15:39 | Speaker 3:

What's going on, Sarah?

02:15:41 - 02:15:41 | Speaker 5:

Hey, how's it going?

02:15:42 - 02:15:42 | Speaker 3:

Good. What's happening?

02:15:44 - 02:15:51 | Speaker 5:

Not too much. My way to work. I was just calling because I had an ex. We used to live separately and we would trade pillows.

02:15:53 - 02:15:56 | Speaker 3:

Really? So when you guys broke up?

02:15:56 - 02:16:07 | Speaker 5:

No, when you couldn't be with each other, you mean? Yes. So when we couldn't be with each other, we'd trade pillows so we could sleep at night because we'd spend the weekends with each other, but we were like a 40-minute distance from each other.

02:16:07 - 02:16:12 | Speaker 3:

Oh, and when you said X, this was when you guys were good, right, before you broke up?

02:16:12 - 02:16:12 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:16:13 - 02:16:20 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Yeah, because that kind of threw me off for a second. I'm like going, really? You broke up with each other, and then you guys ended up doing that? Maddie, what's up?

02:16:21 - 02:16:22 | Speaker 4:

Hey, good morning, guys.

02:16:22 - 02:16:23 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. What's going on?

02:16:23 - 02:16:33 | Speaker 4:

So I'm calling from the kid's perspective. I have divorced parents, and any time I would go to, like, my dad's house, I would take some of my mom's clothes and bring them with me to sleep with.

02:16:34 - 02:16:39 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's – you never – that's – yeah. I'm going to cry. Yeah.

02:16:39 - 02:16:44 | Speaker 4:

The clothes that I wore from my mom's house, I would keep those on because they smelled like her house.

02:16:44 - 02:16:51 | Speaker 3:

Wow. Was it ever weird to your dad that you were bringing his ex-wife's clothes to your house, to his house?

02:16:51 - 02:17:00 | Speaker 4:

Well, they were never married, so I'm really not excited. But no, I don't think they really ever knew. Like, I had a bag that I would bring over there, so I'd kind of just stuff it in the bag.

02:17:01 - 02:17:16 | Speaker 3:

You know what's interesting? I mean, both of you guys have parents, and both of you guys have gone through divorce. But you hear, like, her call, and it's, you know, you think of your kids, but you think of them. I wonder if they ever have had issues. You guys ever talk to them about that? Like, do they ever have issues going back and forth, houses?

02:17:16 - 02:17:19 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. I think it does get really, really tough after a while.

02:17:19 - 02:17:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:17:20 - 02:17:32 | Speaker 1:

At least especially. Especially with having young kids. Smith is five. I mean, he's super go with the flow. But Lucy's almost nine, and she definitely has tough days. Sunday is our transition day, and those days can be especially tough.

02:17:32 - 02:17:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. This is a little interesting, but Brittany's cat passed away, and she missed your cat so much. What did you do?

02:17:42 - 02:17:48 | Speaker 2:

I would put her urn on a sweater next to me in bed, and I would sleep with it. What?

02:17:48 - 02:17:49 | Speaker 6:

Did you say urn or urine?

02:17:49 - 02:17:57 | Speaker 2:

Urn, not urine Oh We all misunderstood I did for sure

02:17:57 - 02:17:57 | Speaker 7:

Yeah

02:17:57 - 02:18:03 | Speaker 2:

Urn I thought you said urine

02:18:03 - 02:18:05 | Speaker 7:

So Kitty's still with you there

02:18:05 - 02:18:08 | Speaker 2:

Yes, she's with me every night still Okay

02:18:08 - 02:18:12 | Speaker 3:

Alright, thank you for the call We're sorry about your loss

02:18:12 - 02:18:17 | Speaker 7:

We were talking about scents So urine went to our mind Right

02:18:18 - 02:18:21 | Speaker 9:

02:19:31 - 02:19:40 | Speaker 1:

One of our biggest stories this morning. Yesterday, Alex Murdoch was found guilty of murdering his wife and his son. The jury spent less than three hours deliberating.

02:19:40 - 02:19:47 | Speaker 2:

The state versus Richard Alexander Murdoch, defendant, indictment for murder, guilty verdict.

02:19:47 - 02:19:49 | Speaker 3:

How abused do you think he'll be in prison?

02:19:50 - 02:19:54 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean, he was emotionless after that verdict was read.

02:19:54 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 3:

The prisoners don't take lightly to when you murder your own child.

02:19:59 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 1:

Yep, yep.

02:20:00 - 02:20:04 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, he's facing 30 years to life in prison. I know he is going to be sentenced at some time this morning.

02:20:04 - 02:20:08 | Speaker 1:

Although, I have to be honest with you, that whole family just seems so...

02:20:08 - 02:20:17 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah, the son's sickening, yeah. Crooked. Do you think the jury was really sequestered, or do you think they snuck around and watched Netflix documentary?

02:20:17 - 02:20:25 | Speaker 2:

Well, and it's literally everywhere. It's not just on Netflix. I mean, there's information about the case on every social media platform.

02:20:25 - 02:20:32 | Speaker 3:

But we weren't sure with the evidence out there that this guy would get prosecuted. I don't know about you guys I was shocked to see them Put him on the murder charges

02:20:32 - 02:20:47 | Speaker 1:

I just don't Here's the thing I don't see I don't see in this day and age Of technology being everywhere Where you can tell a jury Unless you put them in a dark room With nothing to watch But old office episodes

02:20:47 - 02:20:52 | Speaker 3:

We can't take their phones away To talk to family But their phones are how you can Stream anything you want

02:20:52 - 02:20:56 | Speaker 1:

Especially in a small southern town Like that It just doesn't happen

02:20:56 - 02:22:10 | Speaker 2:

Hey, it's Matthew McConaughey You're waking up with Mojo in the morning

02:22:13 - 02:22:25 | Speaker 2:

She went on to express her gratefulness to those who made sure the passengers were looked after following the ordeal. Marriott Bonvoy put everybody up in a hotel, and she said, we made it to the bar with one minute until it closed.

02:22:26 - 02:22:31 | Speaker 1:

Do you think that he's as calm as he always is? Like, hey, all right, all right, all right. I really do.

02:22:31 - 02:22:33 | Speaker 3:

Only because he was probably high as a kite on that flight.

02:22:34 - 02:22:58 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, Cardi B said she has zero regrets about her very first face tattoo. She hopped on Twitter yesterday to share the first close-up image of her new ink, which spells out her one-year-old son's name in red ink on her jaw. It says, wave. And she simply wrote, I love my FaceTap. That's all. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on thejointhemorning.com.

02:23:42 - 02:23:46 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning, your home of the world's famous phone scams.

02:23:51 - 02:23:51 | Speaker 5:

Hello?

02:23:52 - 02:24:28 | Speaker 3:

Hello, I'm looking for Karen ***, please. Hello, Karen. My name is Phil Rippinclipple from *** Energy, and there's a great demand for electric power, and it's really putting a strain on our system.

02:24:29 - 02:24:30 | Speaker 5:

A what?

02:24:31 - 02:24:38 | Speaker 3:

A blackout. We're going to turn your electric off for those three days each week, just for probably the next two weeks or so.

02:24:38 - 02:24:39 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no. I don't think so.

02:24:40 - 02:24:44 | Speaker 3:

This isn't really a voluntary program? It's going to happen to a lot of your neighbors as well?

02:24:44 - 02:24:46 | Speaker 5:

I don't think so. This is bull****.

02:24:46 - 02:24:52 | Speaker 3:

You're taking this very personal. It's really nothing towards you. Everybody's going to have the same program in your neighborhood, and we're just telling you...

02:24:52 - 02:24:58 | Speaker 5:

I don't care what everybody else is doing. I'm not doing this. I just had a baby, okay? I need my electricity.

02:24:58 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 3:

Do you cook with a gas stove?

02:25:00 - 02:25:01 | Speaker 4:

or an electric stove?

02:25:01 - 02:25:05 | Speaker 3:

It shouldn't even matter what I cook with because you're not turning my power off.

02:25:05 - 02:25:12 | Speaker 4:

What we're suggesting to mothers is that maybe on those days you just go to a mall or Target.

02:25:12 - 02:25:15 | Speaker 3:

I'm not going anywhere. I'm not leaving my house.

02:25:15 - 02:25:20 | Speaker 4:

You can understand as a new mother that there are hospitals that can't even plug in their life support.

02:25:20 - 02:25:22 | Speaker 3:

I am so sorry for them.

02:25:23 - 02:25:24 | Speaker 4:

Right. So what I'm just saying is...

02:25:24 - 02:25:27 | Speaker 3:

I know they're going to make me to be a cold-hearted person because I am not.

02:25:27 - 02:25:43 | Speaker 4:

What model furnace do you have? if it were up to me i would climb the utility pole outside your house with a scissor and i'd cut your power off right now i don't think so we're just going to flip the switch from our

02:25:43 - 02:25:49 | Speaker 3:

headquarters and turn your power switch go ahead did you hear what i said i have a baby

02:25:49 - 02:25:57 | Speaker 4:

i have to pump breast milk there's only one last thing i can do and that's tell you that this is Spike from the Mojo on the Morning show and you've just been phone scammed?

02:25:58 - 02:26:00 | Speaker 3:

Are you f***ing kidding me?

02:26:01 - 02:26:09 | Speaker 4:

I told him this was not a good idea to do this to a new mom. You're probably already sleep deprived as it is, aren't you?

02:26:10 - 02:26:20 | Speaker 3:

You have no f***ing idea. We will, we will scam you.

02:26:20 - 02:26:31 | Speaker 5:

Hello? You're home with the phone scams. Yeah, hi there, sir. This is Philip Rippin-Clipple. It's Nick's shoemate from the bleeped apartment complex. Jeffrey Anthony from Greg Murray Appraising. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:26:39 - 02:26:51 | Speaker 3:

Oh, the weather outside is frightful. But the fire is so delightful. Since we've no place to go.

02:26:51 - 02:27:48 | Speaker 1:

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow Record-breaking storm comes to games! Mojo in the morning, we're expecting some crazy snow in the metro Detroit area. Looks like it will be nutty here. Rain to the south, so our downriver Monroe Toledo listeners getting rain. grand rapids calls this is just a friday night i mean it's pretty much there guess who's on the phone with us guys oh my gosh this is exciting i think uh i've never seen kp so excited before in my life our seasonal misfits we love them you may have to take our producer out with you guys tonight guys to do some plowing how would you guys like that how would you like to plow with a with a very beautiful, talented woman here. Welcome Mojo in the Morning's Misfit Plow Guys on with us.

02:27:48 - 02:27:49 | Speaker 3:

Hey, guys.

02:27:53 - 02:27:59 | Speaker 5:

What's going on? It must be like Christmas Eve to you guys, just so tingled with excitement waiting for this to happen.

02:28:00 - 02:28:02 | Speaker 2:

You already know it, man.

02:28:02 - 02:28:04 | Speaker 1:

Let me do this.

02:28:04 - 02:28:05 | Speaker 2:

How are you guys doing?

02:28:05 - 02:28:20 | Speaker 1:

We're doing good. Let me introduce you guys individually so you guys all get some love here. Plow Guy Blake, Plow Guy Peasy, and Plow Guy Jay. All three of you guys are together. I thought you guys would be resting up right now, waiting for the snow to come later today.

02:28:21 - 02:28:23 | Speaker 2:

Why do that when we could get paid right now?

02:28:24 - 02:28:35 | Speaker 1:

What are your guys' thoughts? First off, your sound system is not as good as it was last time. You guys might have to either get close to it, or are you guys in a different truck?

02:28:36 - 02:28:40 | Speaker 2:

No, we're in the same truck. We're going for Bluetooth. Does that sound better?

02:28:41 - 02:28:59 | Speaker 1:

That sounds much better. So here's, yeah, you may have to just put the speaker on the phone. Sometimes I find that with mine, the Bluetooth gets bad. But Plow Guys, Shannon asked a very interesting question on the air just a little bit ago. She said, do you really think this is going to happen? What do you guys think? You guys are the ones that have to go out there and face this.

02:29:01 - 02:29:12 | Speaker 2:

Well, the temperatures ain't going to be too low. The ground temperatures are kind of high. uh i think if it is going to happen it's going to be later on towards like midnight

02:29:12 - 02:29:17 | Speaker 1:

you guys you guys are very scientific in your thoughts i didn't realize that you guys put

02:29:17 - 02:29:39 | Speaker 2:

this much thought into it yeah so i mean it's gonna it's not really gonna drop below freezing and the ground temperature is like 54 yeah okay how do you guys decide where you're gonna go first Like, who gets first dibs on you? In our company, we have, like, designated areas for each crew. Okay.

02:29:40 - 02:29:46 | Speaker 1:

And where do you guys go first? Is it usually a major parking lot, like a Walmart?

02:29:47 - 02:29:49 | Speaker 2:

I go to a pretty big hospital in Toledo.

02:29:50 - 02:29:52 | Speaker 1:

Okay. So Toledo, which hospital?

02:29:53 - 02:29:55 | Speaker 2:

ProMedica Toledo Hospital.

02:29:55 - 02:30:02 | Speaker 1:

Okay. All right. And you guys do the whole parking lot as just three guys? Guys in a truck, or are there big trucks that you guys are out there with?

02:30:02 - 02:30:13 | Speaker 5:

No, there's another crew there also, and then if it gets bad enough, we have snow people on call that we'll call, and they just show up. It should be everywhere. We pop out like the mob, man.

02:30:14 - 02:30:33 | Speaker 3:

Man, I like it. Our friend Kevin Jeans at Channel 7 just did a new update at the top of the hour, and he says, really, the heavy snow is going to fall starting at 5. It's at 5 to midnight. He's still sticking by that bullseye in the middle of the map saying up to 8 to 10 inches, but he says most of Metro Detroit is going to get six to eight and then down river, not much.

02:30:34 - 02:30:40 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Like in Toledo, it shouldn't get as much as you guys up in like in Northern Michigan.

02:30:40 - 02:30:44 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. My question is what bar do you guys go to afterwards? Yeah.

02:30:45 - 02:30:54 | Speaker 5:

They said, well, what bar? Shoot. I go home and I'll mess around with the bar. No bars. So when am I going to run into them?

02:30:54 - 02:30:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. When are you guys going to go out and visit Megan?

02:30:57 - 02:31:03 | Speaker 5:

Oh man. You guys let us know a place in time. We'll be there. We're still waiting on the dates.

02:31:04 - 02:31:17 | Speaker 1:

Well, here's the interesting thing, because plow guys are in Toledo, as you just heard. But like we said, you guys may not get a lot of the snow that the Detroit area is. Do you get jealous that you're not getting that snow? Because that snow means money.

02:31:19 - 02:31:24 | Speaker 5:

I do. Kind of, yeah. Jay does. I got stuff to take care of.

02:31:24 - 02:31:27 | Speaker 3:

You and your girlfriends are always wishing there's more inches.

02:31:27 - 02:31:34 | Speaker 5:

Don't let him get away with that

02:31:34 - 02:31:35 | Speaker 1:

To pay the bills

02:31:35 - 02:31:40 | Speaker 5:

He's crazy as heck, man Hey, Peasy

02:31:40 - 02:31:51 | Speaker 1:

Do you ever consider yourself Like better than the other two guys? Because I wondered about this Because Peasy, you seem like you're the leader of the crew Even though Blake drives the vehicle, right?

02:31:54 - 02:31:56 | Speaker 4:

Wait, did you just swear?

02:31:57 - 02:31:58 | Speaker 1:

Did he swear?

02:31:58 - 02:32:00 | Speaker 4:

No, I didn't. Okay, sorry.

02:32:00 - 02:32:10 | Speaker 1:

PZ, I want to just know from you, is there going to be a point where you're going to be like Justin Timberlake and you're going to leave the Plow Guys to go off solo?

02:32:11 - 02:32:20 | Speaker 4:

I mean, I did just come from another job. I was just doing solar panels, so I kind of did bear off on them for a little bit.

02:32:20 - 02:32:28 | Speaker 1:

Which one of you guys? Okay, so if we were going to have to, let's go through this real quick. If we were going to have to say that Blake, PZ, and Jay, Jay, are you there? You're very quiet.

02:32:29 - 02:32:30 | Speaker 5:

Yep, I'm still here, man.

02:32:30 - 02:32:43 | Speaker 1:

All right. If you guys were members of One Direction, would Blake be Niall, PZ be Harry, and Jay be one of the other who cares?

02:32:44 - 02:32:48 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. I don't even know who you're talking about. All right. How about NSYNC?

02:32:49 - 02:32:59 | Speaker 1:

No, how about NSYNC? Let's do NSYNC. Like, who would be Joey Fatone? Who would be Justin? And who would be Lance Bass?

02:33:00 - 02:33:11 | Speaker 5:

I will never be Justin. I was going to be Justin because I got that play from the wrong couple. Actually, we make just a really good crew together. I mean.

02:33:11 - 02:33:13 | Speaker 1:

Oh, isn't that awesome? That's awesome.

02:33:14 - 02:33:18 | Speaker 3:

Champions. We're the three best friends that anyone could have.

02:33:19 - 02:33:47 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Megan's got a problem. You guys help out with this problem since you guys are in Toledo. Maybe you guys can help with this. So Megan says that there's some jackhole that lives in her neighborhood that comes driving through her neighborhood, her street, with their base pumping, just blaring and bumping nonstop. Yeah. And they don't turn it down when they're getting around people's homes when people are trying to be nice. Explain, Megan.

02:33:47 - 02:33:56 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so I'm wondering if you guys are driving around South Toledo at anywhere from, like, 1 to 3 o'clock in the morning. Boys? Always.

02:33:57 - 02:33:57 | Unknown:

Always.

02:33:57 - 02:34:11 | Speaker 2:

You're my problem. So I'd like a license plate number, registration, proof of insurance. I need you to swing by my house later. It's not going to be a fun time. I'm going to slash your tires. I feel like.

02:34:11 - 02:34:17 | Speaker 5:

We're not the one with the face, dude. I don't think it's us. If we're driving around, we're driving around working usually in them hours.

02:34:17 - 02:34:18 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

02:34:18 - 02:34:24 | Speaker 5:

If you just let us know, we'll take care of it. You let us know if you get that license plate number.

02:34:25 - 02:35:13 | Speaker 2:

I love these guys. So there's this guy that's been driving around my neighborhood from like 1 till 3 o'clock in the morning. Guy, girl, I don't know, person. There is a person. And they have been absolutely blaring their base to the point where my house is very old, okay? My windows, very thin. I really, really enjoy living in this house. Can you tell? The windows are shaking. That is how, like, loud this bass is, that my windows are shaking. It is waking me up in the middle of the night, like, two or three times a week. And it's driving me nuts. And I, listen, listen. Listen, I'm not a Karen, okay? I have a nice sound system in my car. I drive a Wrangler. I drive around with the top off all summer. Hey-oh, top off. But I can't do it at 1 o'clock in the morning. I can't do it.

02:35:14 - 02:35:18 | Speaker 5:

Run out there in your robe and just wave your arms and tell them to turn it down.

02:35:19 - 02:35:22 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, right, then they'll be back the next day. Yeah.

02:35:23 - 02:35:30 | Speaker 4:

Why is it that people do that? Explain that to me. When I'm driving down the street, it always happens at a red light. Somebody's got a boom.

02:35:30 - 02:35:34 | Speaker 8:

Oh, my God. I feel it in my chest. No, if you're on a main road.

02:35:34 - 02:35:43 | Speaker 5:

Speaking from somebody that has had loud music in the past, it's just, I don't know. Some people have it up at the wrong time.

02:35:44 - 02:35:44 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:35:45 - 02:35:47 | Speaker 2:

It was that 2006 kind of Civic.

02:35:47 - 02:35:52 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it is. You're right. Yeah, the speakers are the only thing worth any money on the entire car.

02:35:52 - 02:36:02 | Speaker 4:

Wait, inside of that car, are they actually enjoying that music? I wonder. They are? How are they enjoying it? They can't even hear it. It's so loud.

02:36:02 - 02:36:15 | Speaker 5:

You can hear it when you get in there. Like, mine was really loud bass-wise. I would just turn it down if I was at a stoppike. I say mucho, moza, mucho trinco. They've done too much.

02:36:16 - 02:36:20 | Speaker 4:

By the way, he speaks Spanish, too. I didn't realize that. He just speaks Spanish.

02:36:20 - 02:36:29 | Speaker 2:

But I do feel like if your car is moving, it's allowed to be as loud as you want it, as long as it's on, like, a main road. But if you're in a neighborhood or stopped at a red light, you're supposed to turn it down.

02:36:29 - 02:36:32 | Speaker 4:

But what if your baby is in their car seat sleeping?

02:36:33 - 02:36:41 | Speaker 5:

They actually have ordinances for that. They have them. Yeah. You're supposed to not have them up past a certain time depending on where you live.

02:36:41 - 02:36:44 | Speaker 1:

Those people driving around at one in the morning aren't worried about ordinances. No.

02:36:44 - 02:36:46 | Speaker 5:

No, no, no. You're right.

02:36:46 - 02:36:51 | Speaker 2:

But also, if there was a baby in a car seat next to me, F them babies.

02:36:52 - 02:37:01 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, right. Why do I care? There you go. All right, so wait, here's another question for you.

02:37:02 - 02:37:09 | Speaker 4:

What about when your children are sleeping and the plow guy decides he's going to plow at 4 a.m.

02:37:09 - 02:37:12 | Speaker 8:

What about when we're sleeping and the plow guy decides he's going to plow?

02:37:13 - 02:37:25 | Speaker 5:

We're sorry about that. We try to keep possibly, Kim, what we do at least, but when you guys wake up to be safe and not let them fall and have a morning commute to where you need to go.

02:37:25 - 02:37:31 | Speaker 1:

I am nowhere near the end of the street, but I always seem to hear them backing up. The beep, beep, beep.

02:37:31 - 02:37:32 | Speaker 8:

But I am still great.

02:37:32 - 02:37:47 | Speaker 3:

My neighborhood Facebook group, because I looked at it because I'm always looking for the drama or whatever, apparently the plow guys in our neighborhood hit all of the mailboxes on the road, every single one. They were driving fast and shot snow everywhere. It's like a whole thing now. Yeah.

02:37:48 - 02:37:54 | Speaker 5:

That's why you'll see some people put up metal bars around their mailboxes at the start of a winter storm.

02:37:54 - 02:38:00 | Speaker 4:

Hey, hold on a second. Plow guy, somebody very important is on the phone. Who is this?

02:38:01 - 02:38:02 | Speaker 7:

Hey, Blake.

02:38:03 - 02:38:04 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:38:05 - 02:38:07 | Speaker 7:

Hey, it's your boss. What are you doing on the radio?

02:38:08 - 02:38:12 | Speaker 4:

What are you doing on the radio? Come on, Rob.

02:38:14 - 02:38:15 | Speaker 7:

What's going on, boss?

02:38:17 - 02:38:21 | Speaker 4:

Boss, there's no snow yet. They're just anticipating everything And plugging your business

02:38:21 - 02:38:25 | Speaker 6:

Hey we're proactive here We're not reactive

02:38:25 - 02:38:45 | Speaker 4:

Boss are you hoping for a lot of snow Uh no Boss do people Pay by the push Or pay like a contract It's usually contract Oh okay so it doesn't make a difference then right No Alright well listen

02:38:45 - 02:38:50 | Speaker 6:

I wanted to give these guys a hard time for messing with you guys all the time. No, we love them. We love them. We love them.

02:38:50 - 02:38:51 | Speaker 4:

They're actually fun.

02:38:51 - 02:38:51 | Speaker 8:

Our listeners love them.

02:38:52 - 02:38:53 | Speaker 4:

They're actually a lot of fun.

02:38:53 - 02:38:58 | Speaker 8:

By the way, you guys, did you do your homework from last time? You're supposed to learn the song from Frozen.

02:38:58 - 02:39:03 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, we didn't learn Do You Want to Build a Snowman. You guys. All right. We're about to get a given extension. Bye to you.

02:39:05 - 02:39:06 | Speaker 6:

Well, not Frozen.

02:39:07 - 02:39:07 | Speaker 4:

Rob.

02:39:08 - 02:39:14 | Speaker 6:

These guys are usually good enough at their job that they can probably take time to build a snowman. Oh, that's good. I like that.

02:39:14 - 02:39:20 | Speaker 4:

Rob, let me ask you, Which one of these guys is the boss man, though? Which one is the Justin Timberlake? Is it Blake, Peasey, or Jay?

02:39:22 - 02:39:23 | Speaker 6:

It's definitely not Blake.

02:39:24 - 02:39:31 | Speaker 4:

No, man. Blake's the driver, though. He's good at what he does. No, he's loud about it.

02:39:31 - 02:39:33 | Speaker 5:

It's got to be Peasey. It's got to be Jay.

02:39:33 - 02:39:33 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:39:34 - 02:39:35 | Speaker 5:

It's got to be Blake.

02:39:35 - 02:39:39 | Speaker 4:

Well, Jay's the quiet one. Jay's the quiet warrior. So, all right.

02:39:39 - 02:39:46 | Speaker 5:

No, Jay has been talking a lot. Peasey has it. I think you got Jay's voice and Peezy's voice maybe mixed up.

02:39:46 - 02:39:49 | Speaker 4:

Wait, hold on. Peezy, speak. Speak.

02:39:50 - 02:39:50 | Speaker 5:

Hello.

02:39:52 - 02:39:54 | Speaker 4:

Wait, I've been calling Peezy.

02:39:55 - 02:39:56 | Speaker 1:

Oh, does it really matter?

02:39:56 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. No, it does because Jay.

02:40:00 - 02:40:08 | Speaker 3:

doesn't sound like a peasy. And peasy doesn't sound like a J. All right, whatever. Plow guys, we're just going to call them.

02:40:08 - 02:40:13 | Speaker 1:

Be careful, you guys, today. I've been told that we will be reaching out to this company shortly.

02:40:13 - 02:40:17 | Speaker 3:

Really? To help us out at the iHeart parking lot?

02:40:17 - 02:40:20 | Speaker 1:

No, I don't think that is the case.

02:40:20 - 02:40:28 | Speaker 3:

For some advertising? Oh, God, wait a second. The sales department is trying to get them to advertise. Listen, it's a good lead. They're obviously fans of the show.

02:40:28 - 02:40:30 | Speaker 1:

Are we talking about a bill we're about to send to them?

02:40:31 - 02:40:31 | Unknown:

Yeah.

02:40:32 - 02:40:35 | Speaker 3:

02:40:51 - 02:41:04 | Speaker 3:
