00:03:06 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 4:

You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

00:03:08 - 00:03:09 | Speaker 5:

You're a doo-doo hack.

00:03:10 - 00:03:55 | Unknown:

Here we go, go, go. Here we go, go, go. It's showtime. We'll be right back.

00:03:55 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 5:

Good morning and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. It is nice to have you guys here. Good weather today. I think we're going to see a little bit of sun, which is nice. I'm excited for that. I'm excited to be able to get the rest of the snow that clobbered us over, what, a week or so ago out of my driveway. Got a lot of stuff to talk about today. The second date update is coming up this morning. Why are you not getting a call back? We got that on the way this week. War of the Roses. Bust in a couple of cheaters. Make sure that you're listening for that. And Five Lies Tell Your Mom. Throwback Throwdown. Am I the A-hole? Oh, hold on a second. One last award. You got to give one last award. The award for the Best Dramatic Actress in A War of the Roses.

00:05:00 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 2:

Shannon wins the award for that one.

00:05:02 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no, no. It has to be Nicole. Well, I guess that's my character. Oh, Nicole. That's my character.

00:05:05 - 00:05:10 | Speaker 2:

Yes, exactly. It's Shannon Murphy from, oh my gosh, from the War of the Roses.

00:05:10 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 3:

I am wearing a Target, turtleneck, H&M jeans, a Madewell belt, and sneakers.

00:05:19 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 2:

Wowee. I know. By the way.

00:05:21 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 3:

And I didn't do my hair yet today. I just blow dried it.

00:05:24 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 2:

I was just watching television just a second ago, and the people on the TV on ABC were saying that the outfit that Ariana Grande was wearing was like one of the most expensive outfits ever worn to an Oscars.

00:05:38 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 3:

The pink one or the red one that she did Somewhere Over the Rainbow? Both.

00:05:42 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 2:

I think the pink one because, well, I'll be honest with you. I don't know exactly which one, but I think that it was so big or such a big price. It was more expensive than the movie cost of that stupid movie that won the best one.

00:05:55 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 3:

And it's not stupid.

00:05:57 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 2:

It's about a hooker, right?

00:05:58 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 3:

Does that make it stupid?

00:06:00 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to start watching. I think you have to say sex worker. If you would have told me that it was about a prostitute, are they not called prostitutes anymore? What are they called now?

00:06:09 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 3:

Sex workers.

00:06:09 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 2:

What do I call them when I...

00:06:11 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 3:

You say hooker.

00:06:13 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 2:

I say hooker. So we'll talk more Oscars coming up here in just a little bit. Lydia, today is a crazy day for me. Do you mind if I make a personal phone call? Lydia is our producer, for those that don't know that. I need to make a personal phone call here. My son, Luke, is going on his spring break. I'm a little nervous about this. Hold on a second. Let me dial up. Chelsea's driving him to the airport as we speak. Luke is a Michigan State sophomore, and they are going, he and his entire group. Chels. Hi, Chels. Are you guys in the car on your way to the airport?

00:07:02 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 4:

We are.

00:07:04 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 2:

Luke, are you there? Can you hear me, Luke?

00:07:07 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 1:

What's going on?

00:07:08 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 2:

Listen to that voice, man. Whatever happened to the little boy that used to say balls all the time? What's going on here?

00:07:15 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 4:

00:07:16 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 2:

00:08:47 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 2:

Okay. All right. I'll let you go. Luke, in Punta Cana. First off, I can't believe you're going back to Punta Cana. We went to Punta Cana one time for our friends. Our friends' son was graduating from high school. Yeah. And they had their senior trip from Notre Dame Prep there. And we went there. And I said to Chelsea, I go, I will never come back to this place ever again. It was awful. It was like the place that we stayed at.

00:09:10 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 4:

And then they went back the next year. And then we went back the next year.

00:09:13 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 2:

And then Luke's there. Like, the all-inclusive, they give you a crappy alcohol. Chelsea, talk to him about don't drink that alcohol.

00:09:21 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 4:

Okay, we got to go.

00:09:22 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 2:

Buy a bottle in the gift shop and use your own bottle. All right, Luke. Luke, be careful. Hold on a second. Jesus, lay your hands on him. Protect him. Keep him safe. Amen. Make him make good decisions. Don't follow the actions of ass juice. is ass juice going on this thing he's uh he is gone he's in he's in he's in chicago we only call him juice now he uh he dropped the ass he's all right last night he was i'm sorry you cut out

00:10:07 - 00:10:13 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. So he was about ready to have an East Lansing spring break then, huh?

00:10:13 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 3:

He always had it under control. Trust in ass juice.

00:10:19 - 00:10:32 | Speaker 2:

All right. Be safe. All of the other guys from Michigan State that are going to Punta Cana with Luke, you guys be smart, too, as your parents are driving you to the airport. And we will talk to you. Chelsea, give him all that good advice. You give better advice than I give.

00:10:33 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 3:

Well, you're taking all my time. We got to go.

00:10:35 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 2:

All right. I love you. Love you, Luke. Love you, Chelsea. Bye.

00:10:39 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 3:

Bye, guys.

00:10:40 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 2:

Yes. I laugh. Bro, he bought that at Tom. His life after.

00:10:46 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 4:

When did Punta Cana become the place?

00:10:48 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 2:

I don't know.

00:10:49 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 4:

They got alcohol in the room, right? Like in the refrigerator and like those little Gatorade little bottles.

00:10:54 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I don't know how they do the, well, when I went there before, All I remember was the alcohol was, it tasted like kerosene. Yeah. Like, it was, like, and then all I know is the food was awful. Like, that was bad. But there were good-looking girls and good-looking guys, and it was craziness.

00:11:13 - 00:11:15 | Speaker 5:

Also, he's in college. Does he care what the alcohol tastes like?

00:11:15 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 2:

I don't know.

00:11:16 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 5:

No.

00:11:17 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 2:

It was nuts.

00:11:18 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 4:

At a certain point, you can't taste it.

00:11:20 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 2:

Just drink it.

00:11:20 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:11:21 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 2:

Oh, geez. Be careful. Just be careful. What's up, Derek? How you doing? It's Mojo in the Morning. How are you?

00:11:25 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 4:

Hey, how you doing this morning, Mojo and everybody? I'm good. What's going on? Hi. Mojo. Mojo, I want to tell you, man, you and my mom are the worst. When somebody says get off the phone, get off the phone, man. Hang off the phone, mother. Get her. Wait, wait. Chelsea's trying to get her last minutes in.

00:11:45 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 2:

Wait a second. So your mom also is the type of person that you can't get her off the phone?

00:11:50 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh. She is the worst. You can be at work. I'm an electrician, so I'm always looking at panels and doing all kinds of stuff. And I'm telling her, like, Mom, okay, I'll talk to you later. And she will start a whole different conversation. I'm like, dude, I'm trying to get off the phone. Like, let's do it. Mojo, you're the worst, man. I love you to death, Mojo. But get off the phone. Let Chelsea have her time.

00:12:13 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 2:

Shout out to your mama. You know what? Your mama knows best. And if you ever hang up the phone on your mom, I will come and fight you, okay?

00:12:20 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 4:

She will, too, believe me. I appreciate you, buddy.

00:12:24 - 00:12:28 | Speaker 1:

How smart are you? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day.

00:12:28 - 00:12:29 | Speaker 4:

We have to go back in time.

00:12:30 - 00:12:33 | Speaker 1:

Where we give you a bunch of events and you tell us what year it happened.

00:12:33 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 2:

So we got a lot of good prizes today. I'm looking at the list of everything that we're giving away. It seems like the concert tickets are incredible. We're doing tickets in just a little bit to see Kendrick and SZA. And then later this morning, we got tickets to see The Weeknd. And then at the end of the show, Jelly Roll Post Malone. Right now, look at this. A pair of tickets to the Taylor Party, Taylor Swift Night, on March the 15th. Tickets on sale right now at LiveNation.com. What is the Taylor Party, Lydia? I don't know what that is.

00:13:09 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 5:

Well, apparently there's a bunch of Swifties that get together and dance around in a building to Taylor Swift songs. I love these parties. They're so much fun.

00:13:18 - 00:13:21 | Speaker 2:

So where is the Taylor Party at? Where do they have this thing at?

00:13:21 - 00:13:24 | Speaker 5:

They do them at St. Andrews. I think that this one's at the Fillmore, though.

00:13:24 - 00:13:30 | Speaker 2:

Wait a second. And so they actually rent out that big of a venue. That many Taylor Swift fans come and they do this.

00:13:30 - 00:13:35 | Speaker 5:

Not only Taylor Swift, they have Shrek night. They have emo night. It is so much fun.

00:13:35 - 00:13:36 | Speaker 2:

All right.

00:13:36 - 00:13:36 | Speaker 5:

They sell out.

00:13:37 - 00:13:40 | Speaker 2:

Are you hosting this thing? Because if you're not hosting this thing, that would be dumb for them not to hire you.

00:13:41 - 00:13:41 | Speaker 5:

No, I'm not.

00:13:42 - 00:13:42 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

00:13:42 - 00:13:46 | Speaker 5:

That would be so much fun, though. You need to. I would do it for free.

00:13:46 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 2:

All right. Don't say that. Yeah, you relax.

00:13:49 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 5:

I take it back.

00:13:49 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 2:

She's crossing the picket line right now. This was the year that Kendall Jenner received backlash over her controversial Pepsi commercial.

00:15:06 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 2:

All happened in the same year. Kendrick Lamar caught some crap for a Pepsi commercial in this year. I genuinely feel like **** and I have no idea how I'm going to bounce back from it. This is the first time you've had a scandal. The only thing you can really do is just be like real and honest because you can't ignore it. Get Out was the big movie. No. Sink into the floor. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Sink. And the big song from the Chainsmokers. Oh, I think they're in the studio with us. Look at that. It's a banger. Abby, what year was that, Abby? Hi, Abby. Oh, I got to pick you to line up. I'm sorry, I didn't pick you up. Hi, Abby. Abby, Abby.

00:15:54 - 00:16:01 | Speaker 1:

Abby. Why is it not picking up? Uh-uh, uh-uh, uh-uh. I want something just like this.

00:16:01 - 00:16:01 | Speaker 3:

Oh, keep going.

00:16:02 - 00:16:06 | Speaker 1:

Try again. My mic or my thing is not working.

00:16:07 - 00:16:07 | Speaker 2:

I don't know.

00:16:07 - 00:16:10 | Speaker 3:

I love that you do what I do and you just click, click, click, click, click. That's going to magically.

00:16:11 - 00:16:16 | Speaker 2:

Hold on. Let me see if I can fix it by doing this. Let me see if I can fix it by doing this.

00:16:17 - 00:16:19 | Speaker 1:

That's also me. Just unplug it.

00:16:19 - 00:16:21 | Speaker 2:

Huh? Just unplug the thing. Unplug this?

00:16:21 - 00:16:23 | Speaker 1:

Have you started doing that and plugging it back in?

00:16:23 - 00:16:27 | Speaker 2:

Zach's here to rescue me. What am I unplugging? What do I plug and unplug? Hold on.

00:16:27 - 00:16:28 | Speaker 1:

Save the day, Zach.

00:16:28 - 00:16:29 | Speaker 3:

Are you in producer mode?

00:16:29 - 00:16:39 | Speaker 2:

No. Oh, there I go. Oh, I hear it. Literally, the plug and unplug worked. I turned the mouse off and then turned the mouse back on. Good morning, Abby.

00:16:40 - 00:16:41 | Speaker 1:

Good morning.

00:16:41 - 00:16:43 | Speaker 2:

Abby, hi. How are you doing?

00:16:43 - 00:16:45 | Speaker 3:

This is nice. How are you?

00:16:46 - 00:16:47 | Speaker 2:

Abby, what year was that?

00:16:48 - 00:16:50 | Speaker 3:

2017. Yay!

00:16:52 - 00:17:59 | Speaker 2:

Congratulations to you. You've got tickets to go to the Taylor party, Taylor Swift night. On March the 15th, tickets available at LiveNation.com. Congratulations. Awesome. Thank you. Thank you. Hang on the phone for just one second, and we'll get you set up. Hold on. I think I screwed up. Kenny, what did I say? Kendrick, right? Hey, you messed up. Hey, Ron, it was freaking Kendall Jenner, not Kendrick Lamar. I thought I heard that, but I thought I was going crazy. Well, again, you know what? Plug and unplug me. Hold on. Monday, we'll give you a break for that. Thanks, buddy. I appreciate you. We got a chance for you to win tickets to see Kendrick Lamar, not Kendall. Although, you know what? What the heck? Let's have a chance to see her, too. Text squabble to 95500. Squabble to 95500 for a shot to win tickets to see Kendrick Lamar and SZA Ford Field on June the something. June the 10th. Right before my birthday. The day before my big birthday. So text squabble to 95500. Check your spelling.

00:18:00 - 00:18:03 | Speaker 3:

Named Best Picture, Mikey Madison, winning the trophy for Best Actress, Sean Baker earning the honors for Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Editing. The show kicking off with Ariana Grande singing a beautiful version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow wearing this red dress that was just absolutely stunning. She was then joined on stage by her Wicked co-star, Cynthia Erivo.

00:18:44 - 00:18:58 | Speaker 1:

In all of us, no wizard that there is or was Is ever gonna bring Me down

00:18:58 - 00:19:06 | Speaker 3:

00:19:14 - 00:19:15 | Speaker 3:

She had a hat on

00:19:15 - 00:19:16 | Speaker 2:

And a wig

00:19:16 - 00:19:17 | Speaker 1:

That's the only thing you've seen her in?

00:19:18 - 00:19:21 | Speaker 2:

That's the only thing I've seen You gotta watch her other stuff, man What is she in besides that?

00:19:21 - 00:19:22 | Speaker 1:

Harriet.

00:19:22 - 00:19:23 | Speaker 2:

I've never won. Harriet Tubman.

00:19:24 - 00:19:28 | Speaker 1:

You don't like the movie Widows because it's a bunch of girls in that one. I got to be honest with you.

00:19:28 - 00:19:34 | Speaker 2:

I watched the Oscars and any movie that I watched, which I think I only saw Wicked this entire year.

00:19:35 - 00:19:37 | Speaker 3:

You and everybody else in the United States of America.

00:19:38 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 2:

And I think the Oscars are like to the Grammy or like the Grammys. They give the awards to the movies that you don't think are going to win. And it's kind of interesting because, you know, they gave it to the low budget and didn't, you know, like whatever artsy kind of movie. And I go, man, wouldn't they get better ratings if they started like just.

00:20:00 - 00:20:02 | Speaker 4:

giving the awards to, like, the big movies that everybody sees.

00:20:02 - 00:20:17 | Speaker 3:

See, I don't think you can compare the Oscars and the Grammys because the Grammys you watch, you know all the songs, you know all the artists. The Oscars, to me, has always felt very inside. It's a bunch of inside jokes that we get a small portion of.

00:20:17 - 00:20:33 | Speaker 2:

And there's only two awards of last night that I completely disagree with. But what I love about it is it gets more people to watch movies that are phenomenal that maybe didn't have the budget to do a multi-million dollar advertising campaign like Anora.

00:20:33 - 00:20:42 | Speaker 4:

And when they do the parts of the Oscars where there's the technical stuff, I'm like, do I care? I don't really care. They should do that off the air.

00:20:42 - 00:20:51 | Speaker 5:

But you're not a film guy. I feel like if you just give the Oscars or whatever awards to the most popular people, it cheapens it. It has to be about the art and the performance.

00:20:51 - 00:21:09 | Speaker 4:

I asked Kev last night in a text. We were going back and forth texting. I didn't know you weren't watching the Oscars. I thought you were watching. I said, what would get a bigger draft or bigger ratings? If the NFL draft went against the Oscars on the same night, who would get the number one rated time slot?

00:21:09 - 00:21:19 | Speaker 5:

Oscars. No, I said the first hour would easily go to the NFL draft because everybody cares about the number one pick, number two pick. After that, then I feel like you got to order it.

00:21:19 - 00:21:37 | Speaker 3:

Well, the Oscar, because like a lot of the bigger awards for the most part are later in the show. But Adrian Brody voted best actor for The Brutalist. Zoe Zeldana, named Best Supporting Actress for Amelia Perez. And Kieran Culkin, who I think had the best acceptance speech of the night by far, won for Best Supporting Actor for A Real Pain.

00:21:38 - 00:22:15 | Speaker 1:

About a year ago, I was on a stage like this, and I very stupidly publicly said that I won a third kid from her because she said if I won the award, she would give me the kid. Turns out she said that because she didn't think I was going to win. um but after and people came up to her and were like you know uh really annoying her i think i think it got to her but anyway uh after the show we're walking through a parking lot she's holding the emmy we're trying to find our car emily you were there so you're a witness and she goes oh god i did say that i guess i owe you a third kid and i turned to her and i said really i want four and she turned to me i swear to god this happened it was just over a year ago she said I will give you four when you win an Oscar.

00:22:16 - 00:22:23 | Speaker 3:

His wife is agreeing, who is beautiful, by the way, to all of this whole story. She's like, yep, yep. And he said, okay, let's get to work.

00:22:23 - 00:22:26 | Speaker 5:

Do y'all feel like he's more famous than his brother now?

00:22:26 - 00:22:27 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Oh, yeah.

00:22:27 - 00:22:28 | Speaker 5:

You think so?

00:22:28 - 00:22:29 | Speaker 3:

No. I don't know.

00:22:29 - 00:22:34 | Speaker 2:

I mean, Succession, this movie. Yeah. Bigger than Macaulay Culkin.

00:22:34 - 00:22:45 | Speaker 3:

Macaulay Culkin is an icon for all of them, especially for Home Alone, you know? I don't know. Well, Kieran Culkin is the better actor, by far.

00:22:46 - 00:22:53 | Speaker 4:

We only know that because Macaulay hasn't really done a lot, has he, as an adult? He did something recently. Also fair. I mean, he was a great child actor.

00:22:53 - 00:23:06 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Wicked, by the way, going back to only got recognized for best costumes and best production design. Some called that a snub. I would agree with that. Conan O'Brien took on hosting duties last night, by the way.

00:23:06 - 00:23:21 | Speaker 6:

Well, we're halfway through the show, which means it's time for Kendrick Lamar to come out and call Drake a pedophile. Don't worry, I'm lawyered up. Anyway.

00:23:22 - 00:23:46 | Speaker 3:

Also during last night's show, a tribute to the James Bond film franchise that included a medley of songs sung by Lisa Ray. And I don't know what Doja Cat was singing, but she was up there. Oh, don't do that. Come on, come on. You can't even sugarcoat that. I mean, that was good. No, they did not. It was really bad. Queen Latifah also sang Eason Down the Road from the Wiz in honor of the late Quincy Jones.

00:23:46 - 00:23:48 | Speaker 5:

We got to play some Doja next hour. We got to see. I will.

00:23:49 - 00:24:06 | Speaker 3:

And I'll read you some of the comments on social media. I'm sure you saw a piece of this at some point over the weekend. President Trump tossing Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky from the White House on Friday after they got into a heated back and forth in the Oval Office. J.D. Vance, part of that as well.

00:24:06 - 00:24:26 | Speaker 7:

You're not winning this. You have a damn good chance of coming out okay because of us. Mr. President, we are staying in our country, staying strong. From the very beginning of the war, we've been alone. And we are thankful. I said thanks in this cabinet. I'm not going to play this whole thing. We gave you, through the stupid president, $350 billion. Back and forth.

00:24:26 - 00:24:32 | Speaker 6:

We gave you military equipment. Uh-huh. Yeah, right. Wow. That is fascinating.

00:24:32 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 3:

Camera's obviously there to capture all of this, but after that happened, Trump cut peace talks with Zelensky Short, canceled their press conference, and did ask him to leave the White House. And lastly, the LA Rams agreed to a restructured deal with quarterback Matthew Stafford that keeps him with the team. I know a lot of people were wondering what the heck he was going to do. The specifics of that contract expected to be finalized over.

00:25:00 - 00:25:08 | Speaker 1:

the next couple of weeks i know last week the rams gave him permission to look into a trade but after talks with the raiders i think he talked with the giants as well he made the decision

00:25:08 - 00:25:50 | Speaker 2:

to stay in they say that he left on the table a crazy amount of money that the raiders were willing to offer him to go and play in las vegas and they say that a lot of people told the nfl it would look really bad if tom brady were to have met with him he did meet with him like a week or two weeks ago i guess they went and hung out together at some kind of almost similar to how it happened when he became a ram remember the coach of the rams mcveigh and him were vacationing in the same spot in cabo and then that's how that trade ended up working they said it would look really bad if that happened but yeah he he supposedly he was about about ready to be the highest paid quarterback in the nfl the vegas raiders were going to pay on that and he decided

00:25:50 - 00:25:58 | Speaker 1:

to stay in the rams i don't know hey for all of today's dirty catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

00:25:58 - 00:26:01 | Speaker 2:

Hey there, this is Conan O'Brien. You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

Alright, it is time now for the 5 at 6.55. Erica is our reigning champion. She is going for her fifth win in a row today. How was your weekend, Erica?

00:26:32 - 00:26:36 | Speaker 1:

It was very nice, very relaxing. I watched the Oscars, so I'm ready.

00:26:36 - 00:27:06 | Speaker 2:

I like it. Okay. Did you watch it purely because you knew that we would probably ask a question or two from it, or did you watch because you're a movie fan? Be honest. Both. Okay. All right. Erica, you gave us a little anxiety on Friday with a close competition. Let's see if Tyler can give us even more anxiety today, because I love anxiety. Tyler, are you there? Yes, I'm there. Hello. Tyler, this is a chance for you to take down the champion. Erica, say hi to Tyler.

00:27:07 - 00:27:09 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Tyler. Good morning.

00:27:10 - 00:27:11 | Speaker 2:

Absolutely.

00:27:13 - 00:27:52 | Speaker 2:

00:29:21 - 00:29:25 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's a competition. Erica, he got a perfect score.

00:29:26 - 00:29:26 | Speaker 2:

Five on five.

00:29:27 - 00:29:28 | Speaker 1:

I know. Let's go.

00:29:28 - 00:29:33 | Speaker 2:

So that means you've got to be perfect. And I'm going to tell you something. Shannon does you dirty in this.

00:29:34 - 00:29:36 | Speaker 1:

This is not true. I think these all five are very easy.

00:29:37 - 00:29:59 | Speaker 2:

Baloney. I think they're hard as hell. So get ready. Here you go. You can send your complaint letters to Shannon. I heard radio in Eastern Market. question number one erica the 97th annual academy awards took place in los angeles last night who was the host of the show conan o'brien yes

B, Oppenheimer?

00:30:25 - 00:30:25 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

00:30:25 - 00:30:27 | Speaker 2:

They both got it right two to two.

00:30:27 - 00:30:28 | Speaker 3:

Was that a guess?

00:30:30 - 00:30:33 | Speaker 5:

I saw Oppenheimer, but I didn't see the Oshers last year, so it will be good.

00:30:34 - 00:30:45 | Speaker 3:

Question number three. The Detroit Red Wings take on the Carolina Hurricanes tomorrow night at home. What was the name of the venue the Red Wings played in before Little Caesars Arena?

Yes. 40th. Wow. It comes down to this. The last question in the 5 at 6.55. You must get it right. If you don't, you will have lost like Demi Moore lost yesterday.

00:31:25 - 00:31:30 | Speaker 1:

But she still worked beautiful. And Diane Warren. She lost, too.

00:31:30 - 00:31:31 | Speaker 3:

Diane Warren.

00:31:31 - 00:31:32 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

00:31:32 - 00:31:48 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, whatever. Here we go. Question number five at 655. Actress Jessica Biel is celebrating a birthday today. To stay our champion, who is her famous husband?

00:31:49 - 00:31:59 | Speaker 5:

Justin Timberlake. Yay! Yay! What in the world is going on?

00:32:01 - 00:32:01 | Unknown:

Wow.

00:32:04 - 00:32:05 | Speaker 4:

How did you do that?

00:32:05 - 00:32:06 | Speaker 3:

How did you pull that off?

00:32:06 - 00:32:08 | Speaker 5:

You want to see more after questions.

00:32:09 - 00:32:15 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. I can't believe that. That was actually very good. Really nice job on that one. Congratulations to you.

00:32:15 - 00:32:27 | Speaker 2:

Do you remember that video of Hillary Clinton reacting to the balloons falling where she goes, wow? The way you just said, wow, is how I picture her saying that in that moment. When I'm looking up at the sky going, oh, wow.

00:32:30 - 00:32:43 | Speaker 3:

Congrats to you on this. I want you to hang on the phone for just one second, and we're going to get you a partying gift here, Tyler. I feel bad, Tyler, because you did everything you needed to do. The only problem is, so did Erica.

00:32:44 - 00:32:46 | Speaker 5:

It's tough. It's tough. But congrats.

00:32:46 - 00:33:00 | Speaker 3:

All this week, we're giving away a gift card to our favorite restaurants. A special thanks to Bar Verona for setting us up with that. You're going to eat there for free on us. Congratulations to you. Hang on the phone for just one second, and we'll get some information from you. Okay, Tyler?

00:33:01 - 00:33:03 | Speaker 5:

Can I say good morning to my son on the way to school?

00:33:03 - 00:33:05 | Speaker 3:

It's going to cost you now a dollar, okay?

00:33:06 - 00:33:13 | Speaker 5:

Okay, I got a dollar. Go ahead. What's his name? Good morning, Tristan. Tristan, have a good day at school. My husband's dropping him off. Brandon, love you guys.

00:33:13 - 00:33:17 | Speaker 3:

Wait, why do you not say hi to Brandon? You only said hi to your son.

00:33:18 - 00:33:20 | Speaker 5:

No, I did. I said my husband, Brandon. He called them all.

00:33:20 - 00:33:24 | Speaker 3:

But that was really not like saying hi to him. That was like telling him that he's taking the kid to school.

00:33:24 - 00:33:26 | Speaker 5:

Hi, Brandon Mack. Love you. All right.

00:33:26 - 00:33:38 | Speaker 4:

It's Mojo in the mornings, 5 at 6.55. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVGS Toledo. Excuse you. This is Mojo. What was that?

00:33:39 - 00:33:39 | Speaker 6:

He's amazing.

00:33:40 - 00:33:45 | Speaker 4:

Live. It's dusty as hell in here, so I tried to blow it off the mic and didn't realize.

00:33:46 - 00:34:05 | Speaker 3:

Wow. All of a sudden, it's like, I felt for a second there. There was like a breeze in the studio of bad breath. My breath was fresh. What was that? Hold on a second. I better believe that. You know what I should do? We haven't done this in more than a decade. We should see if I could get Dr. Nemeth to come in studio.

00:34:05 - 00:34:06 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

00:34:06 - 00:34:10 | Speaker 3:

And have him do the breath test on us. He's like the expert when it comes to bad breath.

00:34:11 - 00:34:14 | Speaker 6:

Listen, I promise you, I may not shy every day, but my breath is fresh as hell.

00:34:14 - 00:34:18 | Speaker 4:

So what do you think? He came in studio. Let me smell your breath, coffee breath.

00:34:18 - 00:34:22 | Speaker 3:

Well, you don't want to smell it because she's the reigning champ of the worst breath on the show back then.

00:34:22 - 00:34:26 | Speaker 2:

I was pregnant. This is my excuse for a decade now. I was pregnant.

00:34:27 - 00:34:38 | Speaker 3:

We call her boo-boo breath. That was a time I thought for sure. I was so mad. I'm like, there is no way that she's going to lose. And she ended up losing to Slim and all the other guys.

00:34:38 - 00:34:48 | Speaker 2:

I was like, I brush my teeth. I use the purple Listerine. I do it all. I am good. I brush my tongue. Nope, I lost. It was amazing. I would cry to get that award. Isn't that terrible?

00:34:49 - 00:34:51 | Speaker 4:

Let's do it. Call them up. Let's do that again.

00:34:51 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 2:

Y'all know how psycho I am about bad breath. If I get voted worse breath, I'll cry. It's probably you. I know, probably. It's probably you. Probably. I carry Listeries.

00:35:00 - 00:35:06 | Speaker 1:

trips with me 24 7 doesn't matter i wonder if that hurts you actually probably i didn't i by the i'm

00:35:06 - 00:36:00 | Speaker 2:

Get your Mickey ears with Disney. So we'll give you an opportunity to have that happen to you coming up here in just a little bit. It's Mojo in the morning. How was the road trip to go to Columbus for Megan and Zach? went and saw the Red Wings take on the, whatever the team is, Columbus Blue Jackets, right?

00:36:01 - 00:36:46 | Speaker 1:

It was so much fun. It was so long. I left at 10 in the morning and we got there at 5. So it was so incredibly long, but it was so much fun. The only issue I had in the entire day was Zach is a terrible, terrible Red Wings fan, an absolutely horrific Red Wings fan because we are at Ohio Stadium. The Horseshoe is where this game was at, down in Columbus. And it was cool to be in an iconic venue, but, I mean, it's also OSU. And I was wearing red at OSU. It felt so wrong to be there wearing red. But we had a blast, except for Zach got so drunk that he was cheering for the wrong team. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I said what I said. I said what I said.

00:36:47 - 00:36:53 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to defend myself. Guys, one, the Horseshoe sucks. Go blue.

00:36:54 - 00:36:55 | Speaker 1:

Why do you say that?

00:36:55 - 00:37:17 | Speaker 3:

It's just a 100-year-old venue. I had to pee in a trough. Like, it just wasn't fun. But, guys, they were sweet goals. Like, I'm cheering for the Blue Jackets, and they were pretty cool goals. So, like, I don't know. I'm not going to get my ass kicked by a whole bunch of Ohioans.

00:37:18 - 00:37:21 | Speaker 2:

He was cheering for the Blue Jackets or cheering on every goal.

00:37:21 - 00:37:45 | Speaker 1:

No, every time that the crowd would start cheering, if he didn't know what was going on, he would start cheering too. But he kept forgetting that we, there was like a section of Red Wings fans across the venue from us. So they were like directly across the field. And we were in a sea of Blue Jackets fans. And every time they would stand up and cheer, so would he. And my brother and I would go, wrong team, wrong team.

00:37:45 - 00:37:49 | Speaker 3:

No, but they were sweet goals though. Like, I'm not going to cheer for someone.

00:37:49 - 00:37:50 | Speaker 2:

So it wasn't that you were just wasted.

00:37:51 - 00:37:59 | Speaker 3:

You were legit cheering for them. I was a little warm by the beers, but they were sweet goals. You can't, like, come on.

00:38:00 - 00:38:05 | Speaker 1:

Have you ever been to, I don't know, a Lions game and saw somebody get a sweet touchdown and cheer for it?

00:38:06 - 00:38:19 | Speaker 3:

No, but that would be, I mean, if it's a sweet touchdown. Okay, if we saw, like, OBJ do that one-handed catch for the Lions, I would probably cheer. Like, that was sweet.

00:38:19 - 00:38:27 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, really? Yeah. Okay, but that was an epic, like, something that you would see on ESPN's Top 10 or whatever.

00:38:27 - 00:38:42 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so, for instance, I saw a backhanded, like, sweep wraparound goal. And I was like, dude, that was pretty sweet. And then I saw a breakaway goal, and I was like, oh, my God, that was pretty sweet. Shouldn't have been a goal. Well, you can't blame me.

00:38:42 - 00:38:45 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, there was a penalty, right? That was a lot of people are saying.

00:38:45 - 00:38:48 | Speaker 1:

Should have been. They did not call a high sticking.

00:38:48 - 00:38:49 | Speaker 2:

Took a stick to the head.

00:38:49 - 00:38:50 | Speaker 1:

To the face.

00:38:50 - 00:39:15 | Speaker 2:

So, okay, so real quick, let's go back for a second. This is at an outdoor venue. This is the football stadium that the Buckeyes lost to the Michigan Wolverines. I like how you did that. Even though they did win the championship, so poo-poo on you. Any Wolverines fans, go green. But you said that they still have troughs there?

00:39:15 - 00:39:29 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God, it was awful. It was, okay. so you have to wait in line for like at least 10 15 minutes and then when you finally get in line you're wearing 30 layers so you have to take everything off so like my balls were hanging

00:39:29 - 00:39:35 | Speaker 2:

out oh yeah why why do you why'd you go all the way down to the balls well because i don't have

00:39:35 - 00:39:48 | Speaker 3:

a zipper because all of my long johns didn't have the opening hole oh you gotta like pull them down and all the stalls were taken so I'm in the trough. I need to take a pee-pee. Yeah, people are just staring at my junk.

00:39:48 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 2:

You're not used to that. So when you're, by the way, this is like taking, I remember taking my kids to go to Joe Louis Arena back when they, you know, had the R.I.P. Joe Louis Arena gift.

00:40:00 - 00:40:12 | Speaker 5:

two mentions this morning on the show but uh the kids would actually want to like swim inside the damn thing why do i picture that zach is like a little child up there with his pants down around

00:40:12 - 00:40:18 | Speaker 4:

his ankles i was there for i got a little nervous i was like so okay and for women that don't know

00:40:18 - 00:41:01 | Speaker 5:

what a trough is a trough is basically you're peeing in what looks like a low sink like a sink for little people like a cold tube yeah it's the worst and and the worst part is that if you don't have a urinal i get fear all the time of peeing with people looking at my privates and i've got a very small penis so i always feel like the urinal i like i get right up against it people think i'm weird when i do it i i well i get splashed back a little bit sometimes but i i have to because i just don't want the guy to the right or the left of me who are big time fans especially, you know, guys that are Red Wings fans. I don't want them to see what I've got. So it's this thing you've got no protective cover at all. Like, you know what I mean?

00:41:01 - 00:41:03 | Speaker 4:

So you understand my pain.

00:41:03 - 00:41:04 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, so it's like peeing outdoors.

00:41:04 - 00:41:07 | Speaker 3:

You've got to hold it, bro. We're not going trough. You won't do a trough?

00:41:07 - 00:41:23 | Speaker 2:

I have always thought it was so weird, like the trough situation. What are we doing? Like, why is it acceptable for guys to look at each other's penises? Because that would never happen in a girl's bathroom. So why is it okay for guys?

00:41:23 - 00:41:32 | Speaker 3:

My daddy told me earlier, we don't do trumps. No. You hold it, bro. So where would you go? You just wait? No, no, no. You just piss in the stall. Yeah, you just wait for the stall.

00:41:32 - 00:41:42 | Speaker 5:

So, oh, they did have stalls, though, right? Yeah, it was too long. The lines were long? Yeah. Yeah. And he had more cheering to do for the other team. Yeah. Hey, get on with him.

00:41:42 - 00:41:44 | Speaker 4:

They were good goals. They were sweet goals.

00:41:45 - 00:41:53 | Speaker 5:

What a wreck this must have been. How was he as a road tripper? I know we did the topic on Friday about the music to play. Did you guys have a good time?

00:41:53 - 00:42:09 | Speaker 4:

Oh, he's the best. He's the best. Did you stop for snacks or food? We stopped for snacks, but the music-wise, we didn't really have a choice for like a good hour and a half because we couldn't connect our phone to the Bluetooth. Why? It's just an older car. Whose car did you drive?

00:42:09 - 00:42:10 | Speaker 1:

One of the station vehicles.

00:42:10 - 00:42:11 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you took a station vehicle?

00:42:11 - 00:42:12 | Speaker 2:

We did.

00:42:12 - 00:42:13 | Speaker 5:

You guys are cheap.

00:42:13 - 00:42:15 | Speaker 4:

Hell yeah. Oh, my God.

00:42:15 - 00:42:20 | Speaker 2:

The station's cheap that we have a vehicle or a radio station. and you can't even play music.

00:42:20 - 00:42:40 | Speaker 5:

Believe me, you don't think that that's the case? You don't think around this place? High technology? Okay, so I'm going to go back to a couple of, I got so many different things I want to ask these guys. I feel like this is a press conference. Hey, I'm raising my hand in the back of the room. Hi, Brad Galley here from Channel 7. Megan, it was just the two of you guys, or I saw your brother was in the picture.

00:42:40 - 00:42:42 | Speaker 1:

My brother went as well, too. Yeah, we picked him up on the way down.

00:42:42 - 00:42:57 | Speaker 5:

Okay, so you met him. When you drive to Columbus, because I've never done the Columbus drive before. It's the worst. Do you take the same highway that you would take as you're going to Pittsburgh or going to Cleveland? Because I love, I love taking the turnpike.

00:42:57 - 00:43:02 | Speaker 1:

Bruh, I'm sorry. You're so beautiful. You realize one's south and one is east, right?

00:43:02 - 00:43:17 | Speaker 5:

And I know going to Kentucky, you don't get the turnpike fun of all the great places to stop off. Like, I love stopping off at some of the businesses that they have there. Like the, they'll have like a Starbucks slash Cinnabon, you know, inside the place.

00:43:17 - 00:43:19 | Speaker 1:

I did take Zach somewhere he's never been before.

00:43:19 - 00:43:20 | Speaker 5:

What's that?

00:43:20 - 00:43:23 | Speaker 1:

I took him to Raising Cane's. Raising Cane's. Oh, what do you think?

00:43:23 - 00:43:24 | Speaker 2:

I still never had it either.

00:43:25 - 00:43:39 | Speaker 4:

You're definitely after Raising Cane's going to have to use a bathroom, right? Dude, I was pooping myself. No, no. It was, it was really great. Highly recommend it, but it's Chick-fil-A for me. Oh, you like Chick-fil-A better? Wow.

00:43:41 - 00:43:41 | Speaker 5:

Man.

00:43:42 - 00:43:43 | Speaker 1:

Raising Cane's open on Sundays.

00:43:43 - 00:43:47 | Speaker 5:

I agree with you. I think Chick-fil-A, to me, those waffle fries.

00:43:47 - 00:43:49 | Speaker 1:

You haven't been to Raising Cane's.

00:43:49 - 00:43:58 | Speaker 5:

I can't eat anything there. They have all gluten. It's like 100% gluten. Okay. You eat gluten. Shay, what's up? I only cheat for Chicago-style pizza. What's going on? I'm sorry.

00:43:59 - 00:44:02 | Speaker 1:

So last week, you bopped me for saying the word S.

00:44:03 - 00:44:03 | Speaker 5:

Yes.

00:44:05 - 00:44:08 | Speaker 2:

How is that worse than you talking about your penis size? Come on.

00:44:08 - 00:44:21 | Speaker 5:

It's the words. It's the words. I took the FCC test and I passed, so I just want you to know that. Real quick, Shea, I've got to ask you a question. Raising canes or Chick-fil-A? Which one?

00:44:22 - 00:44:24 | Speaker 2:

I'm a vegetarian. I don't eat any of that poo.

00:44:24 - 00:44:33 | Speaker 5:

Oh, boo. Boo to vegetarians. Boo to vegetarians on that one. Can we do a quick little? Yeah.

00:44:34 - 00:44:36 | Speaker 3:

I cook it. I cook meat. I just don't eat it.

00:44:37 - 00:44:50 | Speaker 5:

Can we do a quick little election poll? like like a what do they call them exit polls or something like that can we can we do a quick little one on this one because megan's all raising canes and here's why i don't feel like this is

00:44:50 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 1:

fair this reminds me very much of the argument that lydia and i had of coney's versus waffle house and i think a lot of the listeners are going to call in and say chick-fil-a who have never had

00:45:00 - 00:45:06 | Speaker 4:

of Raisin Cane's because is it here yet? How about Popeye's? They just opened one in Canada. But like a couple of months ago, right?

00:45:06 - 00:45:43 | Speaker 5:

Well, why don't we add Popeye's to the list? Which, let's say chicken places in... Oh, it's so rad. By the way, did you see McDonald's is no longer the number one fast food establishment in the world. It just got beat by some place from China that makes bubble, what is that called? Bubble tea. Bubble tea. Yeah, they serve drinks for under a dollar. It's crazy. There you go. So China beating us, China beating us again. All right, exit poll. Here we go. Exit poll on the best chicken places. Let's focus on chicken here right now. As Zach and Megan and Megan's brother did the road trip to go see the Wings play. Ashley, hi.

00:45:44 - 00:45:51 | Speaker 2:

Hi, I'm a long-time first-time caller. Nice to talk to you.

00:45:52 - 00:45:53 | Speaker 5:

What's going on? Which one would you like to vote for?

00:45:53 - 00:46:02 | Speaker 2:

I choose Chick-fil-A only because I feel like the sauce gives it for Raisin Cane, but without that sauce, Raisin Cane is...

00:46:02 - 00:46:06 | Speaker 5:

That Chick-fil-A sauce is the best, isn't it?

00:46:06 - 00:46:07 | Speaker 1:

The Raisin Cane sauce is great.

00:46:08 - 00:46:12 | Speaker 5:

What does the Raisin Cane sauce taste like? Oh, like barbecue sauce.

00:46:12 - 00:46:22 | Speaker 2:

I feel like the Raisin Cane sauce is good, but the chicken without the sauce is plain. Oh. Okay. But the toast, though. You're allowed to have your opinion.

00:46:22 - 00:46:33 | Speaker 5:

The toast at Raising Cane's is the best? That's what I heard I need to try. Really? All right. Give me all the time. I got to take more votes here. Mojo in the morning. Hello. Who is this?

00:46:34 - 00:46:35 | Speaker 1:

This is Brandon.

00:46:36 - 00:46:39 | Speaker 5:

Brandon, we got one for Chick-fil-A. Who would you like to vote for?

00:46:41 - 00:46:45 | Speaker 1:

I'm going Popeye's. Is that the lock up here? Yeah, Popeye's is on there. Let's go, baby. Yes.

00:46:45 - 00:46:53 | Speaker 5:

Raising Cane's is not even getting a vote here right now. What's your favorite thing at Popeye's? Is it that goofy sandwich that was sold out all over the place a couple years ago?

00:46:53 - 00:46:58 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, the sandwich was fantastic. That knocked all the other ones out of the park.

00:46:58 - 00:47:01 | Speaker 5:

Is there a sauce at Popeye's? Do they have a secret sauce?

00:47:01 - 00:47:02 | Speaker 4:

Their black and ranch is really good.

00:47:03 - 00:47:03 | Speaker 5:

Is it?

00:47:03 - 00:47:05 | Speaker 4:

Don't sleep on the bread, beans, and rice.

00:47:05 - 00:47:06 | Speaker 5:

It's good stuff.

00:47:07 - 00:47:08 | Speaker 4:

It ain't all about the chicken.

00:47:09 - 00:47:21 | Speaker 5:

I ain't sleeping. Carson, what's going on, Carson? Hey. Hi. Hi. We're making chicken great again here. Oh, God. Here we go again. And what's going on? Who are you voting for?

00:47:23 - 00:47:31 | Speaker 3:

Raising Cane. Raising Cane. All right. All right. Raising Cane. 100%. And Megan, just so you know, there's one in East Lansing.

00:47:32 - 00:47:32 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

00:47:32 - 00:47:36 | Speaker 3:

We're getting closer once in the eye. I was like, East Lansing is still like two hours.

00:47:36 - 00:47:42 | Speaker 5:

I know that there's one in East Lansing because I can see it on my son's debit card. Thank you for the call.

00:47:42 - 00:47:44 | Speaker 4:

So we'll vote for Cane. Got it. We're counting that one.

00:47:45 - 00:47:49 | Speaker 5:

Raising Cane is on the list. Ashley, who are you voting for on this one?

00:47:49 - 00:47:54 | Speaker 3:

I'm going with my girl, Megan, Raising Cane's, baby. Thank you.

00:47:55 - 00:48:00 | Speaker 5:

All right, Raising Cane's has just taken the lead. This is unbelievable. April, what are we voting for?

00:48:02 - 00:48:09 | Speaker 4:

Raising Cane's all the way. What is going on? This is craziness. And the only way to do it is swapping out that slaw for extra toast.

00:48:09 - 00:48:15 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my gosh. I think Raising Cane's might be the winner of this one here. Because, Carson, who are you voting for?

00:48:16 - 00:48:24 | Speaker 3:

Raising Cane's. Let's go. Love it. I feel like I'm just getting powered up right now by all of this.

00:48:24 - 00:48:35 | Speaker 5:

I am right. Give her some vindication here. And some cholesterol medicine. Nancy, hi. Who are you voting for, Nancy?

00:48:38 - 00:48:41 | Speaker 3:

Kate, well, Chick-fil-A. Oh, my gosh.

00:48:41 - 00:48:58 | Speaker 4:

She switched her vote in the party mood. It's unbelievable. Get this child off the phone. She knew who she was voting for. Ask them, ladies. That's unbelievable. We would never trust a child to vote. Take that vote away. How old are you? Are you old enough to vote?

00:48:59 - 00:49:00 | Speaker 2:

Um, no.

00:49:00 - 00:49:10 | Speaker 5:

No. Seth, who are we voting for here? We're doing the, this is the vote of the century here right now. Which chicken is the chicken of America?

00:49:12 - 00:49:13 | Speaker 2:

Chick-fil-A is 100%. Yes.

00:49:14 - 00:49:15 | Speaker 4:

Oh, they're coming back.

00:49:16 - 00:49:27 | Speaker 5:

Chick-fil-A is on the way. This is one of those ones where at the beginning of the night, the election's going one way, the end of the night is changing. Don't go to bed. No. Don't go to bed. No. Mike, hi. Who's winning?

00:49:29 - 00:49:31 | Speaker 1:

It's going to be Chick-fil-A. Yay!

00:49:32 - 00:49:36 | Speaker 4:

I got our hopes up. There we go. Buckle up. I'm just going to stay. I'm just going to stay. I'm just going to stay.

00:49:41 - 00:49:45 | Speaker 5:

Chill. Hi. Chick-fil-A or Raising Cane's?

00:49:46 - 00:49:49 | Speaker 3:

Hey, you added Popeyes. I'm going to go with Popeyes.

00:49:49 - 00:49:51 | Speaker 4:

The Independent.

00:49:53 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 5:

She just voted for, who would that be on the list? Is that the Ross Perot or something like that? What's going on?

00:50:00 - 00:50:54 | Speaker 2:

here. Oh, my God. Michelle, put your vote in right now. Chick-fil-A! Oh, yeah! I think that Chick-fil-A might be the new champion. Oh, my God. One last vote. I think this is the decider right now. Who will be the winner? We find out right now as we go to Jake Tapper at the board. Who's the winner, Glenn? It's Raising Cane's. Oh! Oh, my God, I cannot believe it. You just pushed it over the top. Michigan has turned on us. Whoa, congratulations. Glenn, what is the best thing about Raising Cane's besides bread? Everybody likes to go there for their bread.

00:50:56 - 00:50:58 | Speaker 1:

I like their chicken is the best.

00:50:58 - 00:51:12 | Speaker 2:

Yes. And quick question. When's the last time that you went to the doctor and had a checkup? I need to know. About a year ago. You better not tell them that you eat any of that stuff. You're going to get yourself into trouble. Thank you, buddy.

00:51:14 - 00:51:20 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning has tremendous ratings. That I can tell you. But they're not as tremendous as mine.

00:51:23 - 00:51:56 | Speaker 2:

All right. Enough canes. Enough that we get paid for this, guys. Do you want to believe that? Life is good. I love stupid. You know what the amazing thing is? If Elon Musk asked us what's the five things we did last week, we'd have to put this on the way. Tony Travato would be coming in to us going, okay, you guys talked about chicken. What a winner there. All right. Okay, it's Mojo in the Morning. I got a bunch of topics that I want to get to. I want to talk about this. Shannon, the embarrassing mom.

00:51:57 - 00:51:58 | Speaker 3:

Is anybody surprised?

00:51:58 - 00:52:08 | Speaker 2:

It's funny because I know you had done this before. You've gone to your kids' events. First off, the last time that I remember you talking about going to one of the swim meets, didn't you cheer for the wrong kid?

00:52:08 - 00:52:21 | Speaker 3:

I did. It was Smith. But any swim parent knows they all look the same. With those caps? With the caps, the goggles, the little swim trunks or the speed suits, whatever. They all look the same.

00:52:22 - 00:52:27 | Speaker 2:

These kids, by the way, are too small to be swimming in a pool at a college. They were at, what, Eastern Michigan or something?

00:52:27 - 00:53:02 | Speaker 3:

So this was Lucy over the weekend was in the Michigan Swimming Championships at Eastern. And thankfully, I now have figured out how to make sure that my kid is my kid. Well, once you get to a certain point, they put their last name up on the board and what lane they're in. And Lucy also writes everything on her arm. So she writes the event number, her heat number, and then her lane. And then I take a picture of her arm. So I know exactly where she is and what time, like where she's going to be swimming, what lane she's in. And she wears bright pink goggles, which also helps me tell her apart from everybody else.

00:53:03 - 00:53:06 | Speaker 2:

Do you do that purposely or does she like the bright pink goggles?

00:53:06 - 00:53:13 | Speaker 3:

No, she just has bright pink goggles, but honestly, it helps me so much know that that's her.

00:53:13 - 00:53:37 | Speaker 2:

What this reminds me of is it reminds me of when my mother and father-in-law would come visit and they would go to the games for their grandkids. And my mother-in-law would be on the wrong field. We'd play like in one of those complexes that had like 10 diamonds and we would be on the phone trying to navigate her back from the concession stand and she would be sitting there the entire time in some lady else's chair, chairing for a kid that wasn't their kid.

00:53:37 - 00:55:07 | Speaker 3:

I totally get this. But this weekend was cool and I even texted you guys. It was more than cool. It was incredible because first off, I can't swim and that is not me exaggerating. I can doggy paddle a little bit. So to watch both of my kids achieve something that I can't even do is incredible in itself. But for the past year, Lucy has really dedicated herself and she had this goal of getting a certain time and getting what's called a zones cut. So making it past even what she did this weekend. And even this weekend was farther than she's ever gotten in her swimming career, if you want to call it that. So sitting in the stands, and Wes was sitting with me, this was Saturday, and I knew that this could potentially happen in this particular backstroke event. And she did it. And I literally burst into tears when she did it because it was just such a beautiful thing to see her accomplish her goal. And I could just tell when she got out of the pool. I was shaking, you guys. And it was the snotty, disgusting cry. I was just so dang proud of her, but there I am. She runs up into the bleachers when she was done, and I'm wiping. I'm just like a damn mess, and she's hugging me and patting my back and consoling me, and I'm like, boop. I'm supposed to be congratulating you here. But it was like a get a grit mom moment, but I was so proud of her.

00:55:08 - 00:55:10 | Speaker 2:

God, you're proud to look at you now.

00:55:10 - 00:55:14 | Speaker 3:

It was seriously the coolest thing ever to see.

00:55:14 - 00:55:24 | Speaker 2:

I always love that perspective from the kid then. Because if we said to Lucy and she was sitting here right now, and I don't know, Lucy, if you are listening, you'll have to tell us.

00:55:24 - 00:55:25 | Speaker 3:

You better not be listening.

00:55:25 - 00:55:32 | Speaker 2:

but the kids though have a different they're like oh right like they don't understand and

00:55:32 - 00:55:44 | Speaker 3:

but i cry at everything i'm like you i am such an overly emotional person if there's something at school i she'll look at me and be like yeah she'll mouth it because she knows i'm a crier you don't

00:55:44 - 00:56:11 | Speaker 2:

want to the you know what i would love to do i'd love to take this in a direction because i know we got kids listening or people who are kids or were kids at one point i think you were a kid at one point. I would love to know your embarrassing thing, your thing that your parents embarrassed you the most with. We can recall that, but also the parent that wants to call out the proud parent moment. I love proud parent moments. To me, I just, like, there is nothing better. And my kids were never...

00:56:11 - 00:56:13 | Speaker 1:

What was it? Halloween? No, it was like

00:56:13 - 00:56:15 | Speaker 2:

a swim. I was doing it for a swim.

00:56:15 - 00:56:17 | Speaker 1:

You never heard the song? I was doing it for a swim

00:56:17 - 00:56:52 | Speaker 2:

because she's a swimmer. Our kids never did swim. They were never part of that whole thing. and my kids are like you shannon i don't know even know if they know how to swim like i can't even try to water yeah that's bad but i've tried i've gone to our friends kids like swim stuff that they'll have and it is insane swim parents are party parents too like they drink and stuff like especially the ones that do them at like you know golf courses and stuff like that like they get they get a little crazy and actually half the time i'm like are the kids driving these parents home afterwards like what's going on by the way if i met you over the weekend at eastern because

00:56:52 - 00:56:56 | Speaker 3:

There were so many listeners there. Yeah. It was awesome to meet a ton of listeners.

00:56:56 - 00:57:24 | Speaker 1:

I've got a proud prayer moment. Okay, go ahead. So Josiah is in an after-school art program at his school. Josiah loves to draw. That's like what he wants to do with his life. So Josiah got chosen out of his art program to participate in like, I don't know, something where he had to draw on cars, like a car wrap. He had to design it. And him and all of his friends who were selected got a chance to go to the Henry Ford Museum where the cars are on display and got to see his car actually wrapped in the design. That's so cool.

00:57:25 - 00:57:30 | Speaker 2:

Can I talk, Kevin, about my Josiah thing from the weekend or no?

00:57:30 - 00:57:30 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, for sure.

00:57:31 - 00:57:38 | Speaker 2:

So Josiah has been nominated to be part of this University of Michigan Wolverine.

00:57:38 - 00:57:39 | Speaker 1:

Pathways.

00:57:39 - 00:57:55 | Speaker 2:

Pathways program, which, by the way, if anybody's listening, listen to this story, okay? You need to help me on this one. I gave him a – Kev asked me if I would do a recommendation because it's like teachers and then people in the community give recommendations. I gave them a recommendation. They denied my recommendation. What?

00:57:56 - 00:57:56 | Unknown:

Why?

00:57:57 - 00:58:05 | Speaker 2:

First off, I thought I filled everything out and wrote a letter and all this stuff, but they basically wrote Kevin this letter. Hold on, I'm going to read it back to you guys.

00:58:06 - 00:58:08 | Speaker 3:

How does a recommendation get denied?

00:58:08 - 00:58:12 | Speaker 2:

I guess I am not a very good recommender. So they wrote Kevin.

00:58:13 - 00:58:16 | Speaker 3:

Did you spell check it first? They probably couldn't even read it.

00:58:16 - 00:58:27 | Speaker 2:

It said, upon reviewing the submission from Mojo, I would like to inform you as a courtesy that the recommendation does not meet our standards for recommendation requirements.

00:58:27 - 00:58:28 | Speaker 3:

Stop it.

00:58:28 - 00:59:28 | Speaker 2:

If you would like to give the scholar the best opportunity, it basically says the recommendation cannot be in this form, maybe select somebody else. So this is from that Pathways program, which by the way, the Wolverine Pathways, first I'm on the freaking board of the U of M's hospital, the Michigan Medicine Cardiac. Not good enough. Why is that not good? Like, I know I'm a dumb radio guy, and I know that I could never get in the University of Michigan, but let's get somebody that could be in an opportunity there. I feel horrible. I know. I feel bad. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Lydia, put some people on the line with this, and we'll come back in just a second, and we'll get to it. We'll get to some calls. All right. We're going to give you a shot at Disney, Disney World vacations and your chance to win all this week here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. Let's get out of this weather, which, by the way, I saw that the temperatures are going to get back again.

00:59:28 - 00:59:31 | Speaker 3:

56 on Wednesday. I like it. Okay.

00:59:32 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 2:

Who needs Disney when you got 56 degrees in Michigan and Ohio? I'd still take Disney. It's true. I'd be there in a second right now. I think it's like the 80s or something right now. 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 Win a $50 Disney gift card. You can use that towards getting your own Disney Plus for free. sandler crashed conan o'brien's opening monologue at the academy awards last night dressed in basketball shorts sneakers a bright blue aviator nation hoodie conan telling him you're dressed

01:00:27 - 01:00:57 | Speaker 3:

like a guy that's playing poker yeah at 2 a.m i have to it's not you no it's not you it's him he's the one you cause it but i'm sorry i'm sorry you are all welcome to join me for a game of five on five basketball at veteran park tonight midnight tip off the guy from nos to ruff Dostarapha, where is he? He's on my team. One more thing. Chalamet!

01:00:59 - 01:01:04 | Speaker 4:

Shout out, Nicky Glazer. You want to play that real quick? Can I play that? This is from the Golden Globes, right?

01:01:04 - 01:01:15 | Speaker 1:

Actually, your name sounds like something Adam Sandler would say. Chalamet. Timothee, Chalamet. Oh, yes, Timothee, Chalamet.

01:01:16 - 01:02:30 | Speaker 2:

I think Sandler, Sandler's here. Sandler, can I get a Chalamet? Despite over 500 movies released in 2024, the average American only watched three of them. Nearly half, 48% to be exact, of Americans hadn't seen any of the 10 Best Picture Oscar nominees. So Wicked, about 31% of people actually watched Wicked, but that was really like it. The biggest winner of the night was Anora, which took home five of the six awards it was up for, including Best Picture, Director, Actress for Mikey Madison, Editing, and Original Screenplay. The Brutalist went home with three awards, including a Best Actor trophy for Adrienne Brody, Wicked, and Dune Part II. Each received two. Emilia Perez, which was the most nominated film of the year with 13 nods, only took home two of those awards. One for Best Supporting Actress for Zoe Saldana and then Best Original Song. So Demi Moore, I know a lot of people thought she was going to take home that Best Actress Oscar. Nope, it didn't happen. And Wicked only took home two awards.

01:02:30 - 01:02:37 | Speaker 4:

Megan, you saw all these movies. Who do you think should have won for Best Movie, Best Actress, Best Actor?

01:02:37 - 01:03:19 | Speaker 1:

I'm not mad with any category other than when Amelia Perez won any award. That movie is hot garbage. It is so bad, it's not even funny. It's the worst movie I think I've ever seen in my entire life. And the fact that Zoe Saldana even got an award for it is a joke. Her speech afterwards when she was talking to the press and they were bringing up all of the controversies surrounding this film and she pretty much said F off to the audience was wild to me. The composers singing the song on stage for Maria Perez. That is a terrible song. Literally anybody, anybody in that category could have won against Zoe Zaldana. And I was going to be fine with it.

01:03:19 - 01:03:28 | Speaker 4:

It was cool, though, that she was the first, you know, Latin American to win that. Or first American of Dominican origin, Dominican origin, which is great.

01:03:28 - 01:03:33 | Speaker 1:

And I'm so happy that she won an award just not for that role.

01:03:33 - 01:03:34 | Speaker 4:

It was a bad role.

01:03:34 - 01:03:41 | Speaker 1:

It's such a bad movie. I cannot even begin to explain to you how horrific that movie is.

01:03:41 - 01:03:55 | Speaker 2:

Something else people are poo-pooing on this morning, as I say, and we talked about this very briefly last hour, was Doja Cat performing Diamonds Are Forever during the James Bond tribute in this nearly new dress covered in crystals. Diamonds are forever.

01:03:57 - 01:04:01 | Speaker 1:

They are all I need to please be.

01:04:01 - 01:04:06 | Speaker 2:

They can stay to tease me

01:04:06 - 01:04:12 | Speaker 1:

They won't leave in the night Have no fear that they might

01:04:12 - 01:04:19 | Speaker 2:

Social media I hate it Why? I don't know, man

01:04:19 - 01:04:22 | Speaker 4:

Does she get bad or what?

01:04:23 - 01:04:43 | Speaker 2:

It's not terrible Doja Cat sounds like a dead cat Really? No Doja Cat sounds terrible Someone please help her. I'm reading comments. Find the note. Why the F do they have Doja Cat singing Diamonds Are Forever? Who booked this?

01:04:44 - 01:04:49 | Speaker 4:

I thought it was actually pretty good. I don't think it's terrible. Oh, that was bad.

01:04:49 - 01:04:51 | Speaker 2:

I think they could have chose somebody else.

01:04:51 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 1:

Here's the problem. She was in a three-part series of three different female performers, and she was so bad compared to the other two. It wasn't even funny.

01:05:00 - 01:05:32 | Speaker 6:

that was pretty bad are you you wrapping up your oscar talk yes so again i wanted to shout out zoe zaldana i'm glad you brought up that part first american of dominican oregon origin to win an oscar my mouth is from oregon it's okay from oregon big shout out to her and shout out to paul tazewell first black man to win best costume designer he designed all the costumes for wicket yeah so a big shout out to the history that was made last night and

01:05:32 - 01:06:36 | Speaker 3:

kourtney kardashian addressing those rumors that her and scott disick's 15 year old son is now a dad she got on her instagram and she said i rarely address rumors or conspiracies regarding myself or my family but this is about my child and it feels wrong to let anyone think for a second these lies are remotely true they are not mason does not have a child these accounts that pretend to be him are definitely not. They are fake. And she said, please, my son is very private. Just respect his privacy. Please stop spinning lies. And Mark Zuckerberg, this was trending over the weekend dressing up like Benson Boone for his wife's 40th birthday party. The MetaBoss coming out on stage in a black tuxedo, but with the help of two of his assistants ripped it off to reveal exactly what Benson wore to the Grammy is that like blue sparkly very low cut deep V jumpsuit jumped off a piano was dancing how do you not love this guy?

01:06:36 - 01:06:39 | Speaker 1:

Mark Zuckerberg or Benson Boone? Mark Zuckerberg

01:06:39 - 01:06:41 | Speaker 5:

that he does this for his girl

01:06:41 - 01:06:47 | Speaker 1:

did you see Benson Boone's TikTok where he's like where'd you get that outfit? how'd you get that? I am not on TikTok

01:06:47 - 01:06:53 | Speaker 5:

do you feel like Wes doesn't do enough for you when you see what Mark Zuckerberg, the richest guy in the world, does.

01:06:53 - 01:06:56 | Speaker 3:

Honestly, Wes is in the car right now. I think you need that outfit.

01:06:57 - 01:06:57 | Speaker 5:

You think so?

01:06:57 - 01:06:58 | Speaker 3:

I do.

01:06:59 - 01:07:04 | Speaker 5:

That would be hilarious. If I dressed up and did something like that for Chelsea, she would have me committed.

01:07:04 - 01:07:05 | Speaker 2:

She would.

01:07:05 - 01:07:07 | Speaker 5:

I would not last a night with her.

01:07:08 - 01:07:14 | Speaker 2:

I would die. For all of today's Dirty, catch up on the podcast on the totally free iHeartRadio app at MojoInTheMorning.com.

I love this. I love that we get to do this. We get to give listeners trips to places they probably would never get to go to if it wasn't for them listening to this radio show. You know how tough it is to get a trip to go to Disney and even just be able to afford the plane tickets, let alone the park passes. But this week on the show, we're giving you a chance to win a four-person trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. So you and your family are going to be going. I like this. Hey, Melissa from Brownstown. Is it Brownstown or Brown City? Brown City. Where's Brown City? I know where Brownstown is, but where's Brown?

01:08:11 - 01:08:14 | Speaker 4:

It's in the middle of the thumb. Okay.

01:08:14 - 01:08:29 | Speaker 5:

So, like, Marlette, Sandusky, Zacharyville. Hey, Melissa from Brown City, Michigan. Yeah. You just won a $50 Disney gift card. Now, where do you want to go?

01:08:30 - 01:08:35 | Speaker 4:

Disney World. Yes, you do. Congratulations to you. Yes, I do.

01:08:35 - 01:08:39 | Speaker 5:

You're a qualifier. Congratulations. You are now in. Awesome.

01:08:39 - 01:08:40 | Speaker 4:

Thank you so very much.

01:08:40 - 01:08:46 | Speaker 5:

This would be awesome. Now, who would be the other people that you would take with you if you were going to take a total of four?

01:08:48 - 01:08:54 | Speaker 4:

My seven-year-old daughter would be super excited to go meet Minnie and Nikki. Oh, that's sweet. And my sister and my niece.

01:08:54 - 01:09:20 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my gosh. How cool would that be? What an aunt you would be and what a mom you would be. All right, congratulations to you. You are now qualified for this. Thank you. A trip to Disney World, Disney World Vacations, and shout-out to everybody at Disney World who will be hosting the Mojo in the Morning show very, very soon. And we will, of course, you'll hear that. Bianca from our show is going to be out there at Disney World celebrating with you. Kaji! Hold on one second. I'm here.

01:09:20 - 01:09:22 | Speaker 4:

All right. There she is right there.

01:09:23 - 01:09:38 | Speaker 5:

She's going to be dressed up as Minnie Mouse. Hey, let me ask you a question. Bianca, if you could be any Disney princess, Bianca, who would you be? Which one would you like to be? Bianca? Bianca, Bianca, wasn't she?

01:09:39 - 01:09:40 | Speaker 4:

I was talking to you.

01:09:40 - 01:09:40 | Speaker 5:

There you go.

01:09:40 - 01:09:41 | Speaker 4:

Sorry, can I hear you say that again?

01:09:41 - 01:09:46 | Speaker 5:

Which Disney princess would you want to be? Like, which one did you want to be in your little girl?

01:09:46 - 01:09:51 | Speaker 4:

Definitely Belle or Moana. I'm going to give you Moana vibes lately. I mean, I liked you. See that.

01:09:52 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 5:

I love it. I love it. Well, you know what? We got to make that happen. We got to see if they're Disney people. If we got some pull down there in Disney, we'll have to ask. Send you.

01:10:00 - 01:10:03 | Speaker 4:

to the Bibbidi-Bobbidi Boutique. Yeah, and go do it. Oh, my God.

01:10:03 - 01:10:05 | Speaker 1:

How much does that cost, by the way?

01:10:05 - 01:10:08 | Speaker 4:

It's $2.50. I'm going to lie. I think it's more than that now. Oh, geez.

01:10:09 - 01:10:31 | Speaker 1:

Could we see if Uncle Bob Pittman would front the bill on that line? Bobby B. I'll hook it up for Bianca. All right, it's Mojo on the Morning Show. Shannon had a weekend when she was getting emotional with Lucy at her swim meet. I want some parents to call in and tell their stories. I also want some kids to tell us about their time that their parent embarrassed them when that happened. Kenyatta, are you there, Kenyatta?

01:10:32 - 01:10:35 | Speaker 5:

Good morning, good morning. Good morning.

01:10:36 - 01:10:55 | Speaker 1:

Shannon, you heard her crying at Lucy's swim meet after Lucy did the triple Lindy. Did you ever see the movie Back to School with Rodney Dangerville? No. He won the competition doing the triple Lindy. What's going on, Kenyatta? You cried at one of your daughter's events?

01:10:56 - 01:11:22 | Speaker 5:

Yes, Shannon, I get it. I've cried at gymnastics, dance. I've cried at play. Recently, she passed her driver's test, so she has a license. I cried at that. Oh, that's me. She's got to cry because she plays the second fall, and she qualifies the state for her solo as novel, so she's going before the judges in the state next week. Wow. We can't help it.

01:11:22 - 01:11:36 | Speaker 1:

It's a mom thing. That's a total mom thing. Kenyatta's, by the way, working on the line, making our Fords. We love our Fords. Thank you, Kenyatta. We love you. Love you. Take care of yourself. Love you. Joyce Marie, what's going on? How you doing?

01:11:37 - 01:11:40 | Speaker 2:

Good. How are you, Mojo? Good morning, everyone. Good morning.

01:11:41 - 01:11:46 | Speaker 1:

Hey, what are you calling up for? Are you calling up for the emotional moment you had or the embarrassing moment?

01:11:47 - 01:12:46 | Speaker 2:

Both. Both. So I am like Shannon. I don't know how to swim. I don't know how to tread. I would be the first one to drown if I fell out of a boat. But all four of my children know how to swim. and God, it is so exciting to know that they can swim. When we went on vacation one time, one of my children, she was only like two or three, she was like jumping in and out of pools. And it was like, I was such a proud moment when she was like jumping in and out of pools and all the parents are looking at me like I'm not watching my child. So that was the best knowing that they do know how to swim in their swim meets. I am also a crier. I'm a big crier. And my most embarrassing moment is one time when my oldest daughter was a soccer player and she was out on the field and it's hard to see on the field that I was cheering for my daughter and I'm probably the loudest parent that was cheering for her and then one of my good friends Don was like um Joyce Marie that's not your daughter that's not Keira. I was like oh my god I can't even say with the goggles and the it's so it's so hard. That is so funny. And I even said

01:12:46 - 01:12:52 | Speaker 4:

to Lucy I was like Luz I was cheering so loud and she goes mom I can't hear you I'm underwater Oh, yeah.

01:12:54 - 01:12:59 | Speaker 1:

I love the parents that don't even know their kids' own numbers, too. What's going on, Stephanie? How you doing?

01:13:00 - 01:13:02 | Speaker 4:

Good. How are you?

01:13:02 - 01:13:10 | Speaker 1:

Good. What's going on? I guess, hold on. There's an audio clue to this one. You sent the video of this. Go ahead. Tell us what happened.

01:13:11 - 01:13:45 | Speaker 4:

So my son was swimming in his high school conference championship this weekend. and he was coming from behind and he kept edging up, edging up, edging up and wound up coming in second place and making a state cut. My husband was going so wild that this stranger took this video of my husband going crazy and then afterwards was like, here, I took this for you just so you could have your reaction of how you look.

01:13:45 - 01:13:58 | Speaker 1:

Hold on, hold on. I'm going to watch it real quick. I'm going to watch this. all right look at him look at him he just he got crazy oh that's awesome and then he's like

01:13:58 - 01:14:25 | Speaker 4:

started getting like emotional and it was just like i keep watching the video all weekend because i'd laugh at it but then i'm proud of it it was it was just a really nice thing for this young guy to do shout out like watch my husband and take it all right shout out your your son again what's his name and what school uh brady and he's a sophomore at gross point north go northers uh

01:14:25 - 01:14:38 | Speaker 1:

or whatever their uh their their mascot yeah northman northman i knew it was something like that uh that's awesome what a cool moment sarah what's up sarah hi uh good morning i was just

01:14:38 - 01:14:57 | Speaker 3:

calling. It's a proud mom. Yeah. Yes, my daughter was swimming 10 and under at the championship at the Eastern University. I saw Shannon screaming and crying. Yes, everybody saw me crying. Yes, definitely. It was just a long weekend, Saturday and Sunday.

01:14:57 - 01:15:00 | Speaker 1:

Oh, we lost

01:15:00 - 01:15:05 | Speaker 5:

Lost you. Are you there? Oh, we lost her. Her phone, she went under a bridge or something.

01:15:05 - 01:15:06 | Speaker 2:

Aw, thank you for calling.

01:15:06 - 01:15:08 | Speaker 5:

That was sweet. That was very sweet. What's going on, Josh? How you doing?

01:15:09 - 01:15:12 | Speaker 2:

I'm doing well. How you guys doing? First time caller. Yeah. Yeah.

01:15:16 - 01:15:20 | Speaker 5:

What's happening? Are you calling up as a proud moment as a parent or a child moment?

01:15:21 - 01:15:51 | Speaker 2:

Proud moment. Last summer, my 11-year-old, now 12-year-old, he plays travel baseball. He hit a home run. they were getting their butts kicked and it really didn't change the outcome of the game but when his whole dugout spilled out i had to tuck my head in my chest and i'm uh about 300 pounds six two and i was wearing i was wearing a bright bright purple print shirt i'll never forget it and i'm like all these people probably think i'm crazy that's cool man you know what though there's

01:15:51 - 01:16:11 | Speaker 5:

nothing better than that there's nothing cooler i i would i would much rather see my kids have the accomplishments than me ever having an accomplishment. There's just something about it. Thanks, Josh. I appreciate you so much. Speaking of that, I've got a big thing I want to talk about coming up about one of my kids. Coming up here in like less than 10 minutes, so I'll talk about that. It's a big moment.

01:16:14 - 01:16:21 | Speaker 1:

This dating profile pic was a 9, but what showed up was a 3. Second date update is after 8 this morning on Mojo in the

01:16:21 - 01:16:37 | Speaker 5:

Morning. Alright, it's Mojo in the Morning. You know, we do a thing on our show called Am I the A-Hole? And And it's not Am I the A-Hole moment right now. But Kev's going to tell us a story here that might be an Am I the A-Hole moment for him. We'll all have to judge. So what's going on, Kev?

01:16:37 - 01:16:46 | Speaker 4:

I already know how this is going to go. But I'm not scared to put it out there because it's a part of my life and I share my life. So we all know Sherelle and I are no longer together.

01:16:46 - 01:16:47 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, you and Sherelle.

01:16:47 - 01:17:35 | Speaker 4:

So we've been done for like, it'll be a year in June, July-ish. So it's been some time. Sherelle is a phenomenal person who has a phenomenal organization called Pure Heart Foundation. It serves children of incarcerated parents. I myself have a parent that was incarcerated. Both of Sherelle's parents were incarcerated. So this is an organization that I love, that I support, and it has a special place in my heart because I see myself in these young adults. Sherelle has a phenomenal event that she's been doing for, I think, two or three years now. It's a bowling fundraiser event that she does every summer. And I've hosted every single year. And I do a phenomenal job at this event, if I do say so myself. There's a lot of phenomenal going on. I'm telling you, I'm up and down the aisle. I'm shouting out the team. I'm calling out gutters. Like, I'm doing my thing. It's amazing.

01:17:35 - 01:17:42 | Speaker 5:

Well, you are the best emcee in the world. I see this guy at Michigan State games and at Pistons games. I appreciate that. Thank you.

01:17:44 - 01:17:47 | Speaker 4:

So, Sherelle asked me, did I want to host this year? And I'm like, yeah.

01:17:47 - 01:17:49 | Speaker 5:

So, you guys are still good. You still talk and everything.

01:17:49 - 01:18:25 | Speaker 4:

Of course. I'm like, yeah, but you got to pay me, though. Now, here's the thing. Now, look, for the past few years, I haven't charged her. And if I have, it's been a discounted rate, and I've never accepted the money. I've always put it back in the organization or bought, like, a raffle prize and, like, you know, gave it away or something like that. But the majority of that reason, although I do love the organization, was because you was my boo, and I love you, and I'm never going to charge you to do something. But you're not my boo no more. There are certain perks that come with relationships And I don't think you get access to all those perks If we're not in one

01:18:25 - 01:18:34 | Speaker 5:

Wait a second So because she is no longer your girlfriend You are going to charge her For doing God's work

01:18:34 - 01:18:59 | Speaker 3:

No, don't put God in it Actually, God belongs in this Because during the pre-show meeting I said something to you And I equated it to my own situation Where my voice is being used for a certain Commercial on YouTube that I kind of want to say I don't want it to be used anymore. But for you, it's a charity organization that you shouldn't be charging her anyway.

01:18:59 - 01:19:12 | Speaker 4:

I mean, I think that when you have a gift, and it's a text right now, she'll be fine. I think when you have a gift, you use your gift. And I think that money will go and help my family and help me.

01:19:13 - 01:19:24 | Speaker 5:

So before when you were together, You did this not out of the goodness of your heart by donating it back. You did it probably because you were getting payment in the bedroom, maybe.

01:19:24 - 01:19:34 | Speaker 4:

No, this had nothing to do with sex. This had nothing to do with anything. It was just the fact that I love you. I would never charge you because I'm in this. I support you. And all of that is still true. But at the same time, why can't I just get paid?

01:19:34 - 01:19:56 | Speaker 5:

So here's the analogy for you listening. If you who are listening divorced your spouse or got into a breakup or something like that, and you guys still did business together would you charge them double you know what i mean like is that kind of a deal i'm not gonna charge her double he's gonna have a fair fair exchange

01:19:56 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 3:

if it was a for-profit organization i would

01:20:00 - 01:20:07 | Speaker 2:

say you could I would agree say it I my answer would be different I think then it would be okay

01:20:07 - 01:20:55 | Speaker 3:

to charge her can I can I tell you the interesting thing I know a lot of times where couples get divorced and in the settlement it's they got to do 50 50 on things with the kids and I know a lot of my friends that get into arguments all the time because it's like one of the two doesn't want to like 50 50 it and you know pay for like a kid's extracurricular activity or something like that or one of my buddies got divorced this is an interesting one my one of my buddies got divorced and found out that his ex-wife was charging him more and making a profit on things that were supposedly for the kids so he had to ask he said it goes got to a point tom where it got i had to ask for receipts because if they didn't give me receipt if she didn't give me receipts i knew she and her new boyfriend were using that money probably for their own personal oh i've heard

01:20:55 - 01:20:59 | Speaker 2:

so many stories about that but this has nothing to do with kids no it doesn't this is just about

01:20:59 - 01:21:02 | Speaker 3:

Kev. Yeah, it does have to do with kids. Kids of incarcerated parents.

01:21:03 - 01:21:05 | Speaker 2:

And by the way,

01:21:05 - 01:21:34 | Speaker 3:

you tell Shirelle I will sponsor a a lane. I will do a team, yes. I do not bowl, but if Zach and the rest of the mojo in the morning bowling maniacs, whatever we call that team, want to bowl in that thing, they can. But that was a, we made a donation, Chelsea and I made a donation to those guys. We would definitely help out again. And she's not even, I'm not even dating her anymore. we're not dating not chelsea i was wondering but cherelle's still always a friend what's up

01:21:34 - 01:21:40 | Speaker 4:

kayla how you doing hi i was wondering is this the an episode of am i the a-hole that's what i

01:21:40 - 01:21:47 | Speaker 3:

that's how i started it kayla what do you think is do you think kev's an a-hole for this i i do

01:21:47 - 01:21:55 | Speaker 4:

because number one it's for a good cause that you believe in and number two that is the mother of your child just because you're not together doesn't mean you can't do nice things for her

01:21:55 - 01:22:01 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but, I mean, yeah, nice things are nice things, but does this have to be one of those nice things?

01:22:03 - 01:22:12 | Speaker 4:

But it's for a good cause that you believe in. I don't know. I think you should do it for free. But that's just my opinion.

01:22:12 - 01:22:22 | Speaker 3:

I personally do agree that you should do it and not charge, but I do think maybe ex-sex is possible. Ex-sex? Yeah, a little ex-sex.

01:22:22 - 01:22:24 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. We didn't cross that bridge. What's up, TC?

01:22:24 - 01:22:42 | Speaker 6:

good day mojo how y'all guys doing good day good day what's going on um i would charge my ex-husband definitely you would say that again your phone

01:22:42 - 01:22:48 | Speaker 3:

stop for one second and take it take a deep breath your phone's bad uh you gotta take us

01:22:48 - 01:22:53 | Speaker 5:

off speaker i'm sorry i was driving oh that's okay there you go go ahead

01:22:54 - 01:22:55 | Speaker 3:

What were you saying?

01:22:55 - 01:23:00 | Speaker 5:

I said for my ex-husband, I would charge him three times over. Three times.

01:23:01 - 01:23:03 | Speaker 3:

What did he do? Three times. He's a bad guy.

01:23:03 - 01:23:06 | Speaker 5:

He's Jamaican. He got a bad attitude. He got a bad attitude.

01:23:07 - 01:23:08 | Speaker 3:

That's funny.

01:23:08 - 01:23:10 | Speaker 5:

He got a bad attitude.

01:23:10 - 01:23:18 | Speaker 3:

I love that. I also want to know, I wonder, does this ever happen? Do you guys have kids together?

01:23:19 - 01:23:23 | Speaker 5:

Yes, that's why it's three times over. Yeah. Because we got three kids.

01:23:23 - 01:23:31 | Speaker 3:

Do you ever do this, though, with things that involve the kids? Like, do you ever charge them a little extra for something?

01:23:32 - 01:23:37 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yes. We had to put that in our divorce decree. It's down to the percentage.

01:23:38 - 01:23:40 | Speaker 3:

Man, it gets to be that petty, huh?

01:23:41 - 01:23:50 | Speaker 5:

It was very petty. It was very petty. I'm talking about how he takes me back to court for the littlest thing. That's why I needed a vacation.

01:23:51 - 01:23:51 | Speaker 3:

Oh.

01:23:51 - 01:23:52 | Speaker 5:

Because of him.

01:23:52 - 01:23:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. that's right i remember that um danny says that she's with kev is that right danny

01:23:59 - 01:24:25 | Speaker 7:

good morning good morning danny what's going on um first time long time yes i i agree with kev on this one um my tech said he's already done it for free They're separated, and a pimp has bills to pay.

01:24:25 - 01:24:28 | Speaker 2:

A pimp has bills. Daddy.

01:24:29 - 01:24:30 | Speaker 7:

It's a charity.

01:24:32 - 01:24:41 | Speaker 2:

It's a charity. Where are those hearts? Where's that heart? The heart been there, and the heart will always be there. I'm just saying. So are the bills.

01:24:41 - 01:24:42 | Speaker 3:

Brett, what's up, Brett?

01:24:43 - 01:24:53 | Speaker 1:

Kev, you're kind of in a catch-20 there. I mean, yeah, it's for a fundraiser, but you still need to make your money. need to take care of Josiah and everybody, so. How is a

01:24:53 - 01:24:57 | Speaker 2:

Catch-20 different from a Catch-22? Asking for a friend.

01:24:59 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 1:

It's

01:25:00 - 01:25:00 | Speaker 5:

Too shy.

01:25:00 - 01:25:01 | Speaker 1:

I'm from a different part of the state.

01:25:02 - 01:25:04 | Speaker 2:

I hear different sayings all the time.

01:25:06 - 01:25:07 | Speaker 3:

Great answer.

01:25:09 - 01:25:10 | Speaker 5:

Sarah, what's up, Sarah?

01:25:12 - 01:25:25 | Speaker 3:

I think this is where we bring Josiah in. I think Kevin needs to do it this year with Josiah under his wing, and then moving forward, Josiah can take it over. But you do it for free this year with Josiah, teaching the ropes. Next year, he's got it.

01:25:25 - 01:25:28 | Speaker 4:

Why you got to bring Joe in this, Josiah?

01:25:28 - 01:25:33 | Speaker 3:

Because you've let us all know you're a great dad. We applaud you. So, you know, just pass the torch.

01:25:35 - 01:25:37 | Speaker 5:

Josiah would want you to be a good guy.

01:25:37 - 01:25:39 | Speaker 4:

Why does this not make me a good guy?

01:25:39 - 01:25:40 | Speaker 5:

I don't know.

01:25:40 - 01:25:45 | Speaker 4:

Sometimes you've got to make tough decisions. It doesn't mean you're a bad person. Like I said, if it wasn't a charity thing, my answer would be different. Same.

01:25:46 - 01:25:49 | Speaker 5:

Carlos, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi. Don't shake your head out.

01:25:49 - 01:26:06 | Speaker 1:

Hey, what's wrong, guys? Kev, you're endangering your brand, man. This is to build your brand. You know, Eric Thomas is the most popular motivational speaker in the world. He still speaks to high schools for free. So this is to build your brand, you know, because it's a charity. It's not about your religion anymore.

01:26:06 - 01:26:12 | Speaker 4:

Look, it's Reading Awareness Month. I'm going to read at schools. Does that help the brand? No, no, no, no. Yes, it does.

01:26:13 - 01:26:19 | Speaker 1:

You're known at this place already. You're known there already. You have a presence. So you got to build your brand, man.

01:26:19 - 01:26:40 | Speaker 5:

I think that this is actually one of those words, and I thought you were going to go with the angle of, if kev gives it for free he's now lost it with hiring like how planet planet fitness paid you last week right but i think what he's saying is your brand is you're a good guy too you know what i mean like this is a good opportunity for you just to do some good and give back he's not wrong

01:26:40 - 01:27:37 | Speaker 2:

shout out carlos janelle what's up good morning everybody good morning good morning what's going i'm not gonna like my comment is uh first off we were talking about the bible quote in the bible workman is worth its wages that was the first thing i want to say the second thing i want to say is um i agree 100 with kevin oh jeez like this call yeah turn around how do you agree with kevin i agree 100 with kevin because he did say he was already being paid for it um but also at the same time i feel like he's putting his work in and um if they're no longer together that's between them and if he was doing his own and putting his money back into the organization that's on him that's an expectation if she is expecting that or expecting him to take the money at half price that's the expectation so that's

01:27:37 - 01:27:46 | Speaker 4:

honestly a fair point that none of us have actually zeroed in on what I have been paid this entire time I've just chosen to put the money back into the

01:27:46 - 01:27:51 | Speaker 5:

organization right yeah I do think that this is actually nice that you guys still are friendly. I don't think you should have ever gotten

01:27:51 - 01:27:52 | Speaker 4:

quote unquote paid.

01:27:53 - 01:27:59 | Speaker 5:

Y'all just. Because he was charging the stuff beforehand. Y'all just. I don't know. You and I, Shannon. I would have done it.

01:27:59 - 01:28:03 | Speaker 4:

I would do it for free. Sherelle. Sherelle, Shannon just said she volunteers

01:28:03 - 01:28:09 | Speaker 5:

and she'll do it for free. I don't know. You know what? That's great. I will. You know I will. There you go.

01:28:11 - 01:28:15 | Speaker 1:

I won't be as good as you. But I will do it for free.

01:28:15 - 01:28:22 | Speaker 5:

What would you do if you did, if she did the event and Sherelle calls up and says, Shannon's way better than you are. I say, lucky you.

01:28:22 - 01:28:48 | Speaker 6:

01:30:00 - 01:31:15 | Speaker 1:

away trips to the music awards and stuff like that coming up there soon i think in the next like week or so like we're going to be doing the iheart radio music award uh giveaways those are on the way too i love these trips that we give away and these cash that we give away all the time with pay your bills and things only iheart's able to pull this stuff off uh it's mojo in the morning show i got a big announcement to uh to tell everybody and i want everybody to know this firsthand you can pat me on the back because i kept a secret i i cannot believe that i kept a secret for this long of a period of time but i'm very proud to announce that joseph my son my oldest son joe and his girlfriend are getting married let's go he he made the announcement just moments ago on his radio show his morning radio show the joe show on 93.3 flz but joe and now his fiance, Alyssa, are engaged. Isn't that crazy to say? I know, it's crazy. I actually was thinking about this this morning as I was coming in thinking, okay, I got to make sure I don't ever announce this thing until I see that they posted it, which they did. Which they did, yeah. They posted it, and then I thought, I should play this piece of audio. I don't know if anybody

01:31:15 - 01:31:29 | Speaker 2:

remembers this. Hi, this is Joey, and you're listening to My Dan Mojo. It's Mojo in the morning please don't turn off the station because i need to eat tonight channel 955 how wild is that

01:31:29 - 01:31:36 | Speaker 4:

not me zooming in on the instagram to see her ring yes and i see she's crying so i want to know the

01:31:36 - 01:33:24 | Speaker 1:

whole story and when did you know you can see it uh if you go to uh his uh his is uh not what is it not joe carballo or and then also i think on the live with joe show yeah you can do live with joe show too whatever it's all tagged by all of them so um so it happened on thursday night uh so i've known for a while i came into the show on friday and when i came in friday morning remember i was doing the show down in florida yes so the whole reason of staying down there was joe wanted to he did want to propose and wanted us to be able to be there to be able to be part of of everything and um so on friday i came into the show thinking oh god this is gonna be great we're gonna talk about this on the air and i kept going back and forth our studios when i'm down there are right across the hall from each other so i keep walking in the studio going did he talk about it jed and he's like no no talk about it i'm going back home what the hell's going on what's he waiting for because those guys knew because he reached out and told jed and ashley and terry right after it happened and then it kept going back and forth and finally I just busted in there and I go during a commercial break what's going on when are you going to talk about this so he and Alyssa decided that they wanted to make sure that they told Alyssa's grandma who did not know in person they want they were having breakfast with her on Sunday morning so they wanted Alyssa's grandma to know in person and not find out the way everybody finds out nowadays which is social media which i thought that was awesome so they decided so then i had to wait on friday and then i had to go saturday to wait for her to find out and then i finally was able to tell my my family and and he reached out to his aunts uh and his uncles to tell them too so now before you say how

01:33:24 - 01:33:29 | Speaker 4:

he did it yeah did you know that he was going to be proposing on thursday night so did you have to

01:33:29 - 01:34:21 | Speaker 1:

keep that secret as well oh yeah yeah two secrets so so there's so much to this that i got to talk about number one joe bought the ring way back and you guys might even remember i talked about how joe was asked me yes you know hey what are my thoughts about this last june it was where he said hey i think i want to get engaged and he asked me for my advice and i talked about that on the air yeah and everybody then thought they got engaged uh or we're gonna get engaged really soon and i was giving away information well he went out and bought the ring just after he and i had this conversation he's had the ring for almost eight months which i gotta ask our listeners is there anybody listening that has ever uh bought the ring and had it for that long of a time or longer because i've never i kept waiting for it to happen after a while i'm thinking what the hell

01:34:21 - 01:34:37 | Speaker 4:

is it ever gonna happen i would be so mad if i was her the ring or no oh yeah she knew she picked it out that would yeah that's what would drive me wild is i would be so ocd about having my nails done making sure my hair looked okay yeah wondering if tonight is the night well that's

01:34:37 - 01:34:48 | Speaker 3:

the other thing they have had in the past eight months like big moments together whether it was like nice dinners or trips or birthdays or holidays and every time i'd be like and then when it didn't

01:34:48 - 01:36:31 | Speaker 1:

happen i would get pissed if i was her the funny thing is chelsea actually said to me she goes did you notice that alissa always would have her nails done well yeah which i i've never noticed that stuff. I'm a guy. I don't notice that stuff, but She never knew when it was going to happen. She never knew when it was going to happen. And the weirdest part of how he did it was he was planning on doing it when she came back home from a work trip. So she was away for work, and he was picking her up at the airport. Her flight wasn't landing until like 7.30 at night, and he wanted to take her to the restaurant, which was the first place I think that they went to. And then right behind that restaurant, a place in Tampa, if you've ever been, called Salt Check, there's this really cool beach area there and a pier that you go out on. And that was where he was going to propose to her. Well, the dummy, Salt Check doesn't take reservations. And the place had a three-hour wait. Damn. So they pull up at Salt Check, and he realizes this ain't happening. Like, we're going to have to just do the proposal and not do the dinner because there's no way she's going to want to wait after flying home on a work trip. Like, if I flew home on a work trip and Chelsea's like, hey, let's go to dinner, I'd be like, I want to go home and go to my couch, you know? They wouldn't even take a reservation for a proposal. No, they wouldn't do it, no. Which, by the way, you know, I said to him, I'm like, what we should have done is gotten a table for him and then let them come and get the table. This is where it gets even worse. Then he goes to the pier to go just do the walk on the pier because this was the place that they lived right by there. So they used to go there, and that was their nightly walks that they would do together, and they would walk down the pier and all this stuff. He goes to go to walk on the pier. The pier is closed that night for some kind of, like, construction thing. Omens are here.

01:36:32 - 01:36:36 | Speaker 2:

No. No. Two for two. What's going on?

01:36:36 - 01:37:40 | Speaker 1:

What is happening? So he proposed to her just outside the beach area there. They proposed, which, by the way, the picture is up on his site and stuff, so you can see that and go take a look at it. But he proposed to her that night, and then they went and got Raising Cane's. Yay! There we go. And it was, like, perfect. We went to dinner. Chelsea and I took Joe and Alyssa to dinner. We went to Ocean Prime on Friday night, and they were just, like, beaming. It was really cool. It's cool to see your kid. Congratulations to all of you guys. This is your first son taking his step, man. It's wild. Yeah, it's really, really wild. And we don't have a daughter, too, so that's another one, too, is, like, you know, now there's a girl in the house i gotta like be careful if she you know if i'm walking around the house in my box your balls they can sleep in the same bedroom at thanksgiving uh you know what shannon that is interesting although we did break the rules on that one i think they did ended up sleeping together in the same bedroom but uh yeah so it was a cool moment can we uh can we call joe is that okay we have to we will you call uh uh lydia and just see if he'll uh he'll be there

01:37:40 - 01:37:46 | Speaker 3:

what's going on ashley how you doing hi good morning i'm good how are you guys fantastic

01:37:46 - 01:37:47 | Speaker 1:

What's going on?

01:37:48 - 01:38:27 | Speaker 3:

So my husband got the proposal or engagement ring at the jewelry store that I was a manager at. Yeah. So I knew that he had the ring for at least eight months. Why would he find it where you worked? He got a discount. Discount. Discount. Well, why did he wait that long? I was like, put it under a pseudonym, like, put it under something else. But I picked out the ring and the diamond, so I knew when it got purchased. I was like, oh, good job, guys. Like, you didn't hide it very well. They, like, put it under his first name, but a different last name.

01:38:27 - 01:38:30 | Speaker 1:

And every time that you guys would do anything, you probably assumed you were getting proposed to it.

01:38:30 - 01:38:31 | Speaker 3:

Every time.

01:38:32 - 01:38:36 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's funny. Hold on. Joe's on the phone right now. Welcome to Newly Engaged.

01:38:36 - 01:38:37 | Speaker 2:

Yes, Joe.

01:38:37 - 01:39:44 | Speaker 1:

are you there joe yes hi congratulations thank you wow so is that a horn yes sir that was a we got special sound effects this is what happens when you take the step big budget on the show joe we're we're discussing uh Your proposal, which, by the way, I had to keep quiet for such a long period of time because this kid's like, and then he's like, they says to me over the weekend, he's like, I'm thinking about announcing it on Tuesday. I'm going to tease it for a little bit, a couple of days. I'm like, get your ass out here and tell everybody about this thing. What was the reaction of the listeners to find out that you finally proposed after having this ring burning a hole in your pocket for seven months or eight months? Let's see. Let's see what the response is real quick. Hey, who's this? Jaheim. Hey, Jaheim, are you excited? I'm engaged.

01:39:45 - 01:39:49 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Oh, my God. First time caller, bro. Congratulations. Hey, Jaheim.

01:39:53 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 1:

Jaheim, here, I'm going to put you back on hold, and I want to spend more time with you, but my dad, he'll get mad if I take another call.

01:40:00 - 01:40:20 | Speaker 2:

call like irish irish are you excited yes congratulations joe i'm so excited for you guys i i can't believe it i remember when my fiancee proposed and i i was ecstatic but he didn't have to wait he did it in front of my family so look at that well he won up

01:40:20 - 01:40:27 | Speaker 4:

all right irish i love you i love you what do you want dad no by the way can i go back to irish for

01:40:27 - 01:40:52 | Speaker 3:

a second um getting proposing in front of the family that's like a pressure moment because you got to be good doing it but also that's kind of like i don't know i felt like that was like the uh something sopranos-ish or something you know what i mean like you're now a part of the family hey joe what did you say yeah what did what what exactly did you say i don't think i even asked you

01:40:52 - 01:40:58 | Speaker 4:

that so I kind of blacked out truthfully but Alyssa told the full story uh what did she say

01:40:58 - 01:41:04 | Speaker 1:

she said is she said uh so I reminiscing on you know life together I took I took her on a walk

01:41:04 - 01:41:37 | Speaker 4:

where we used to live and we spent a lot of time on this like walk on a this specific dock and we were kind of like talking about oh remember when we had this happen and that happened and I said to her I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you and she was like oh my god me too um and And I was like, you know, there's a lot of steps that involve that, and I want to take the first step right now. And then I got down on one knee, and then I cried. I'm like my dad. I cried a lot. I cried the whole time.

01:41:37 - 01:41:42 | Speaker 1:

Is it bad? I'm genuinely shocked you didn't mic yourself so you could have this audio for your show.

01:41:43 - 01:41:48 | Speaker 4:

I mean, yeah, a little bit. I thought you were going to have us around.

01:41:48 - 01:41:48 | Speaker 2:

A little bit.

01:41:48 - 01:41:56 | Speaker 4:

Now I can't say like when it happens to Jed and Ashley and Carrie, I can't say, well, what the heck? Why didn't you mic yourself?

01:41:57 - 01:41:58 | Speaker 2:

The show first.

01:41:58 - 01:42:10 | Speaker 3:

Joe, as your father, I want to ask you a question. I think this is pretty important. What is it about Alyssa? Tell me what with Alyssa makes her the one.

01:42:14 - 01:43:28 | Speaker 4:

She's my best friend. and uh like it so the reason why i i did it on because i know it was like a thursday it was a random day but you know i've had the ring for a really long time and i wanted to do it in two weeks and i dropped her off of it she went out of town for a business trip and um the the moment that happened i was like overcome with like emotions of like one she's my best friend two in my opinion no one has like a work ethic like her she has the biggest heart in my opinion like she really does she she completely looks out for me and her brothers and her mom and uh she loves you and mom and jacob and luke she's like really really good with jacob and luke which that's like super super important to me and um i don't know she's just like she's the best thing that's ever happen to me like i i i don't i i like i i feel like a different person when i'm around her like i uh like i i don't know i it's hard to like it's truthfully it's kind of hard to put into words um but she's she's the she's the best like i i feel like i don't i don't know i don't know i can't

01:43:28 - 01:43:47 | Speaker 1:

think of words you've got you've got parents that have been married for 30 plus years 30 years yet um what what do you what do you hope to take from your mom and dad's marriage and bring into yours great question shannon thanks ash uh the sex i hear that they're

01:43:47 - 01:44:26 | Speaker 4:

no i would i would say um i would say their commitment to each other because i know that it hasn't always been easy for them and there were certain times where maybe they were in the process of getting a divorce but they uh through it all were really really really really great parents to my brothers and i and um you know i i did kind of fear once luke graduated that they would get a divorce um but to see how close they are now and their commitment towards each other i think that like their willingness to fight through and the the good and the bad well amongst

01:44:26 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 3:

other things i'm gonna i'm gonna tell you it ain't easy if you think that this is going to be glamorous and loving uh it's not um there are some of the highest moments you'll ever have in your life and some of the lowest moments you'll ever feel in your life but i say to you son uh this is an emotional moment for for your mom and i um because it really is adding but also feeling like you're subtracting because you're adding somebody to the family but you feel like you're the dynamic is changing you're changing yeah and i and i pray that you guys live together

01:45:00 - 01:45:06 | Speaker 2:

as long as you want and want to as long as you live and i love you so much i love you and enjoy

01:45:06 - 01:45:17 | Speaker 1:

your enjoy the engagement joe don't let people pressure you into picking a date or doing it a certain way or just in oh my god everyone's standing why is this the next day people were

01:45:17 - 01:45:22 | Speaker 4:

like hey what day what day is the wedding i'm like i don't know just enjoy being engaged and

01:45:22 - 01:45:27 | Speaker 1:

not having to worry about any of that think about this york feels like it's that question and are You're going to have babies right away?

01:45:28 - 01:45:48 | Speaker 4:

She gets a twofer. I want babies. Dog. Hey, real quick, dad, dad, dad, dad, dad, dad, dad. I hate that you say subtraction. I hate you say it because I can't say it, but it's not. It's a plus. I'm like, you know, she's excited to be a Carvalho, and I am excited for her to be one, too. I don't think you meant it that way, by the way.

01:45:48 - 01:46:25 | Speaker 2:

No, no. I get what you mean. I mean it like in the fact that, you know, your grandma and papa had your mom for so long and yet, you know, we don't see them every single moment that we can because we shouldn't. Because this is your she is your new, you know, priority in life, man. Yeah. So and I and I will say this, Alyssa, you know, Joe's mom and I love you. Take care of him. So we love him. And if you do, you'll get the greatest love in the world because he's a lover. So, I love you, kid.

01:46:25 - 01:46:27 | Speaker 1:

Congrats, Joe. I love you more.

01:46:27 - 01:46:29 | Speaker 2:

Proud of you. Proud of you, Joe.

01:46:30 - 01:46:31 | Speaker 1:

And proud of Alyssa.

01:46:32 - 01:46:34 | Speaker 4:

Thanks for golfing with me the next day.

01:46:35 - 01:47:03 | Speaker 2:

We went golfing, and we had this guy, Marty, who's rich, give us these amazing things. Marty gave us these. He brought cigars. I told him that Joe just got proposed to. He brought $50 a piece cigars and he gave Joe and I each a cigar and he had a cigar and we all smoked together and I got so sick afterwards. I felt like I did edibles. It was unbelievable. It was crazy. So, I love you. That's what's up, bro. I love you more. I'm proud of you, kid.

01:47:03 - 01:47:05 | Speaker 1:

Tell Alyssa we said congratulations, too.

01:47:05 - 01:47:06 | Speaker 2:

Yes, congrats, Alyssa.

01:47:06 - 01:47:08 | Speaker 1:

That's where party but the slut.

01:47:08 - 01:47:10 | Speaker 2:

Love you, guys. That's right, Ken.

01:47:10 - 01:47:11 | Speaker 3:

Am I invited?

01:47:11 - 01:47:14 | Speaker 2:

Of course you are. You bring in the fancy. Am I invited?

01:47:15 - 01:47:21 | Speaker 3:

Of course. And we're giving away tickets, too, everyone listening to this show.

01:47:22 - 01:47:32 | Speaker 2:

The best thing about Tampa is there's so many strip clubs there. We will have our share of, I'm not going to this thing. I can't go to this.

01:47:32 - 01:47:35 | Speaker 3:

Hey, hey, don't give up where we're getting married yet.

01:47:36 - 01:47:39 | Speaker 2:

Where you're getting married yet? Disney World at Oz Strip Club.

01:47:40 - 01:47:42 | Speaker 3:

That was a strip club joke. We're getting married.

01:47:42 - 01:47:46 | Speaker 2:

That one, that was a poor joke. All right. Love you. Love you, guys. Talk to you. Wow.

01:47:46 - 01:47:59 | Speaker 6:

my god uh what's going on kristin hi hi i just want to say congratulations to joe i'm sitting here at work like bawling my eyes out for what he just said you sounded so angry i was like

01:47:59 - 01:48:10 | Speaker 2:

wondering i'm like oh she's mad about something but oh he's making you cry uh thank you you're welcome congratulations i appreciate you i love you for uh calling and saying that what's up

01:48:10 - 01:48:17 | Speaker 5:

michelle hi good morning guys congratulations joe that's sweet thank you i'll pass it along to him

01:48:17 - 01:48:35 | Speaker 2:

that you said that michelle michelle uh it says here it says my husband had the ring hidden in his sock drawer for more than five months and what did you almost do michelle can you hear me yeah go ahead what say what you almost did

01:48:35 - 01:49:04 | Speaker 5:

he he had it in his sock drawer hiding because that's a good hiding spot um and i i do his laundry i've done so why he thought uh putting it there would be that damn thing every time i put his socks away in underwear and i'm looking at it i thought for sure i'm gonna ask somebody else to marry him That is so wild.

01:49:05 - 01:49:10 | Speaker 2:

I know that's the thing with Joe, with Alyssa. I'm thinking Alyssa's got to be wondering if this is ever going to happen. You know what I mean?

01:49:10 - 01:49:19 | Speaker 1:

If I knew that he had it and it had been that long, I'd be thinking he's doubting this. Like this is not going to happen after all.

01:49:19 - 01:49:23 | Speaker 2:

That's crazy. All right. It's Mojo in the Morning show.

01:49:24 - 01:49:26 | Speaker 1:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

01:49:27 - 01:49:38 | Speaker 2:

We're going to do the second date update. Why are you not getting a call back after you went on a date? Vanessa went out with this guy. And Vanessa, you're not getting a call back. How are you? You doing all right?

01:49:39 - 01:49:41 | Speaker 5:

Hi. Yeah, I'm okay.

01:49:41 - 01:49:45 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Well, we're going to find out some answers for you. First off, how did you guys meet?

01:49:47 - 01:49:49 | Speaker 5:

So we met online. Okay. On the app.

01:49:50 - 01:49:55 | Speaker 2:

Okay. I get it. Yeah. And was it only one date that you guys went on, or have you guys gone on a couple with each other?

01:49:56 - 01:50:00 | Speaker 5:

No, just one actual date. Um, but you know, we've been

01:50:00 - 01:50:06 | Speaker 2:

flirting for a while and they lead up to it when you say for a while what's a while is it like

01:50:06 - 01:50:20 | Speaker 7:

weeks months um we tried to go on a date a couple months ago and then you know like the holidays were there and then you know things just kind of got in the way so it's been a long time coming

01:50:20 - 01:51:06 | Speaker 2:

okay all right because i i was talking to somebody this past weekend that went on a date with a guy that they've been talking together for more than six months and they haven't seen each other face to face and i said that feels like that's way too long of a time but a lot of people are just so busy that it's hard to go out you know six months is a long time that's a long time this is almost three months yeah all right zach is his name we're gonna find out what's going on zach vanessa's on the phone with us will you say hi to her oh yeah hey how's it going by the way you guys both sound so, like, unenthused a little bit? And Vanessa may have reason because she's worried about what's going on, but Zach, that just sounded like the most, oh yeah, hey, what's going on? What's that all about?

01:51:08 - 01:51:12 | Speaker 5:

I mean, I don't know. I guess I'm, like, on the radio having to talk about this. Okay.

01:51:13 - 01:51:23 | Speaker 2:

Alright. So, it's the radio making you nervous, but you don't have anything to be nervous about if you're just going to tell us what's going on. Is everything okay? Would you like to go out again with Vanessa?

01:51:24 - 01:51:33 | Speaker 6:

I'm a little angry. Well, no, it's like, because I feel bad for, like, how I feel.

01:51:33 - 01:51:37 | Speaker 2:

You feel bad for how you feel, or you feel bad for not calling her back?

01:51:38 - 01:51:56 | Speaker 6:

No, I feel bad for, like, well, okay. So, we had, like, don't get me wrong, we had a really good time. But Vanessa, she's just not a good kisser. and I feel bad having to say that.

01:51:58 - 01:52:07 | Speaker 2:

What? So her kissing ability is the only reason why you're not calling her back. Everything else was okay?

01:52:08 - 01:52:13 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, everything else was great. We had a good time. Okay. I thought we clicked, but.

01:52:13 - 01:52:20 | Speaker 4:

Unless it was tragically terrible. That can be fixed. Sometimes you just have to get your groove together.

01:52:20 - 01:52:30 | Speaker 6:

yeah but we like we we yeah i there was just like no rhythm there you know there was there was like

01:52:30 - 01:52:42 | Speaker 2:

you need rhythm to kissing don't you i listen i don't know i think actually i got no rhythm and i think kissing is not a problem but can i i want to ask vanessa have you ever been told that you're

01:52:42 - 01:53:07 | Speaker 7:

not a great kisser um no i i'm actually kind of thrown off i i mean i told you that i haven't you know really dated anybody in a while um but i feel like kissing is one of those things where you can teach somebody how to kiss you can't you can't really teach somebody how to have a personality so wait okay good counter so if you like me

01:53:07 - 01:53:14 | Speaker 6:

yep but you want me to teach you how to like we're we're adults here did you guys kiss more

01:53:14 - 01:53:43 | Speaker 4:

Was it more than one time or was it one kiss? It was just one kiss. I mean. Because I say that because I have been in relationships before where the first kiss was really awkward and terrible. And it was just because we were both nervous. You don't. I know this sounds so weird, but you don't know somebody else's mouth or kissing style or whatever. And then once you get past, once you get past that first awkward kiss, you're like, oh, OK. Now, mind you, there are also just terrible kissers, period. But if it was only one kiss, I feel like you got to give it a second shot.

01:53:44 - 01:53:53 | Speaker 6:

yeah but like it there was she was like both aggressive and passive at the same time

01:53:53 - 01:54:00 | Speaker 5:

like i i don't know how to i don't know how to describe it i have never heard somebody call

01:54:00 - 01:54:21 | Speaker 1:

someone else a passive aggressive kisser ever i'm telling you right now a woman that is willing to be taught is a woman you need to keep really i'm she willing to learn but i'd have had girls who didn't do certain things and they weren't good at it because that's not what they did you're talking they were willing to to learn you're talking like just kissing you're talking way

01:54:21 - 01:54:42 | Speaker 2:

more than other kisses really keep her bro she was she said she willing to learn and be taught why not keep that it is interesting there is something kind of i don't know hot about the fact that she said hey i'm willing to learn but then there's also kind of a thing where do you really want to be teaching somebody how to do something megan's shaking her head no why no i

01:54:42 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I don't feel like it's fair to have, like, a one and done with this kiss, right? I'm with Shannon on this one. Sometimes it's awkward. Sometimes you're nervous, whatever. But I also don't feel like that's something I should teach you either or, like, commit to. Like, if we don't match up and we've tried this.

01:55:00 - 01:55:17 | Speaker 2:

couple of times like i'm just gonna move on how would you feel if a guy were to tell you guys shannon and megan and lydia and bianca and everybody here how would the ladies not the guys how would you feel if a guy said to you i want you to do it this way i want you to go like this

01:55:17 - 01:55:45 | Speaker 8:

would you feel like he was i would hate it would you i would hate it you can't you can't it's not hot to you to be told what to do um you can tell me what you're into but don't give me direct directions oh if we're if we're no see i actually disagree with that when it comes to kissing i would not want to be told how to kiss if we're in the middle of having sex there's a certain way of giving me directions that i would really find hot yeah no no yeah but but telling me how to kiss

01:55:45 - 01:56:00 | Speaker 2:

you i would not like that at all yeah uh listener and it says here it says a guy named shannon is that right shannon that is correct shannon what'd you want to say about this all right so i know i

01:56:00 - 01:56:36 | Speaker 1:

can't swear so wtf like he's not even trying like seriously man um take the time uh even if she was like rough at at one point and then the other point she was just like taking her time like she's trying to you know she's trying to get into the same mood as you when it comes to kissing like literally like me and my wife it wasn't it wasn't like all the time like you know always the best like but she did say and she did tell me that i've been the best kisser for her and that's just because we got into each other's you know mood got into the same uh has she told you that you've

01:56:36 - 01:56:46 | Speaker 2:

been the best kisser that she's kissed in the last week of course uh what's going on ellie hi it's Mojo in the Morning, second date update.

01:56:48 - 01:56:55 | Speaker 7:

Hey, my husband was a horrible kisser when I met him. He was, like, slobbery and gross, and now he's great.

01:56:56 - 01:56:59 | Speaker 2:

So what got him better? What did you do?

01:57:00 - 01:57:02 | Speaker 7:

I don't know. I told him that he was too slobbery.

01:57:02 - 01:57:06 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so you actually gave him some tips on what would make it better for you.

01:57:07 - 01:57:12 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I mean, it wasn't, like, so involved, but, yeah.

01:57:12 - 01:57:13 | Speaker 4:

It was?

01:57:13 - 01:57:14 | Speaker 7:

It was, yeah.

01:57:15 - 01:57:16 | Speaker 4:

How long did it take?

01:57:18 - 01:57:20 | Speaker 7:

Oh, I don't remember. Not that long.

01:57:21 - 01:57:21 | Unknown:

Okay.

01:57:22 - 01:57:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. You know what's interesting is that we would like to help people, but maybe when it's a new relationship, you don't know if you feel comfortable enough to do that. Like, I think that there's something about the, I would feel awkward if I was having to, like, teach you how to do it, but they only knew each other for a short period of time talking, but it's the only short, you know, the only first date going out with each other. I don't know if I'd throw out the baby with the bathwater. You know what I mean?

01:57:54 - 01:58:01 | Speaker 4:

She is willing and able to continue the act and figure out a way to get better. You do not have to work for this.

01:58:02 - 01:58:08 | Speaker 2:

Vanessa, what do you think you're better at, though? Do you think you're better at kissing or do you think you're better at more than just kissing?

01:58:09 - 01:58:21 | Speaker 5:

So I've never been told I was a bad kisser And I've never been told I was bad at anything else. I might not be the most experienced, but I like it.

01:58:22 - 01:58:24 | Speaker 2:

How old are you, Vanessa? You got to get her back.

01:58:25 - 01:58:26 | Speaker 5:

I'm 23.

01:58:26 - 01:58:27 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so you're young.

01:58:27 - 01:58:33 | Speaker 8:

But sometimes, again, I go back to you may not be a bad kisser. You guys just don't mesh.

01:58:34 - 01:58:37 | Speaker 4:

But it's just one time? No, he don't even know that for real. And that's what I said.

01:58:37 - 01:58:38 | Speaker 8:

You need a second try.

01:58:40 - 01:58:43 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I think we need to go again. Listen to her!

01:58:45 - 01:58:47 | Speaker 2:

Mackenzie, what are your thoughts on this? Hi.

01:58:48 - 01:58:59 | Speaker 6:

Hi. I'm just, I hear everything you're saying about, like, trying again, but I'm on his side because, like, girls, if the roles are reversed, girls get the ick for, like, way less. Yes. Okay.

01:59:00 - 01:59:23 | Speaker 8:

But. I don't look at right. But girls get the ick because it's something very specific. For example, I remember my friend Julie telling me about a guy, and every time he kissed her on this date, he would just nibble on her, like nibble on her lip. That's, I almost swore, that's freaking weird. That's how he kisses, okay? That's weird. This is just like there was something off.

01:59:24 - 01:59:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah.

01:59:25 - 01:59:30 | Speaker 8:

I do think that's a fair point. It wasn't a specific thing. But I think she has a fair point, too. We get the ick.

01:59:30 - 01:59:30 | Speaker 2:

Mark, what's up?

01:59:32 - 01:59:36 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what's going on? First and foremost, congratulations to Joe on the engagement.

01:59:36 - 01:59:37 | Speaker 2:

Thank you, pal.

01:59:37 - 02:00:00 | Speaker 3:

I appreciate it. You know, listen, I don't understand this guy. This girl is willing to try. She asked for him to teach her. And at this day and age, dating is so hard. I mean, he acts like he don't even want to, you know, engage and try to even be with this girl. And she's, like, putting everything on.

02:00:00 - 02:00:07 | Speaker 1:

I don't think he's into her.

02:00:07 - 02:00:09 | Speaker 6:

I think that's probably the problem.

02:00:09 - 02:00:14 | Speaker 1:

No, he's not. He's not. And it's a shame because good girls are hard to find.

02:00:14 - 02:00:17 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Miranda, what's up? It's Mojo on the morning. Second date update.

02:00:18 - 02:01:18 | Speaker 4:

Hey, first time long time. Hey, Miranda's on the phone. Hey, good morning, guys. I had a comment and say that me and my partner at 10 years, in the very beginning it can be awkward and uncomfortable and i agree with shannon with the you know one time might not be enough sometimes it's the chemistry sometimes it's different kissing styles sometimes you just don't like the way a person kisses but uh my boyfriend and i in the very beginning i was super uncomfortable kind of what kev was saying his direction uh super uncomfortable doing certain things but i was willing to learn and it was worth it in the end both ways too he didn't know how to do certain things as well and i had to teach him he was willing to learn we both were comfortable with it so and in the end it paid off and we stayed together still together you know like yeah it was worth it we both were able to meet each other's needs yes oh so sweet but you know and for some people that's okay they're willing to do that others are not and if he's not willing to learn then you know maybe she can just learn from

02:01:18 - 02:01:23 | Speaker 6:

somebody else yeah okay well thank you for the call i appreciate you miranda take care of yourself

02:01:24 - 02:01:25 | Speaker 4:

Thank you. Love you guys. Thank you.

02:01:25 - 02:01:28 | Speaker 6:

We love you, too. All right. Second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

02:01:28 - 02:01:35 | Speaker 1:

This is the home of the dirty on the 30. Throwback, throwdown. Second date update. And more of the roses. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:01:36 - 02:01:38 | Speaker 6:

Look at all these perverts here. Dustin, what's up? Dustin?

02:01:40 - 02:01:42 | Speaker 1:

Hey, I'll teach her how to kiss.

02:01:42 - 02:01:44 | Speaker 6:

Of course you will. I'll do it for free.

02:01:44 - 02:01:45 | Speaker 1:

I nearly get one.

02:01:45 - 02:02:44 | Speaker 6:

I'll do it for free. Yeah, look at you. All right. Right now, we're going to give you a shot at some concert tickets. If you want to go see The Weeknd, we've got a pair of tickets for you right now. Ford Field, May the 24th. Tickets are on sale right now. Ticketmaster.com. 95th caller, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Tickets to see The Weeknd. It's Mojo in the morning. We're going to do The Dirty, which is really late. But we had a big announcement this morning about my son's engagement. Yeah, Joe! So that was pretty cool. And we had second date update and all kinds of stuff. So this has been a good show. Very busy today. It's been a very big show here today. It's interesting because we had, like, our parental moments that were kind of cool moments. Shannon, you and I share here right now. Megan and Zach, they hung out, went to go see the Wings play in Columbus. And then Kevin trying to steal money from his ex.

02:02:44 - 02:02:46 | Speaker 5:

You are insane.

02:02:46 - 02:02:50 | Speaker 3:

Not from his ex, from the kids. What a spin artist you are. From the kids.

02:02:51 - 02:02:54 | Speaker 6:

I was just kidding you

02:02:54 - 02:02:57 | Speaker 1:

Lojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30

02:02:57 - 02:03:00 | Speaker 6:

What's training in this hour's Dirty on the 30, Shannon?

02:03:00 - 02:03:03 | Speaker 3:

All right, and Nora was the big winner at the Academy Awards last night

02:03:03 - 02:03:04 | Speaker 6:

What is that movie?

02:03:04 - 02:03:14 | Speaker 3:

So, I mean, talk about a low-budget film They said it cost more to put on the Academy Awards last night than it did to create to make this movie at $6 million I love that

02:03:14 - 02:03:20 | Speaker 2:

It's a movie about a sex worker falling in love with a guy who's the son of a Russian oligarch and he's trying to break them up

02:03:20 - 02:03:41 | Speaker 6:

So, the movie only cost $9 million to make. I think $6 million. Or $6 million. The stat I gave you this morning about that, because I heard it on Good Morning America, was the movie made less money than it cost to put the Oscars on. The movie's only made $40 million. Yeah. The Oscars cost $68 million to put the Oscar telecast on it.

02:03:41 - 02:03:49 | Speaker 3:

It's like the movie. Is that the same? The swag bags that were given to the nominees cost more than what the movie cost to make. I think that's important.

02:03:50 - 02:03:59 | Speaker 5:

It's crazy. I think that's important for artists out there who love the art of filmmaking, music, whatever your medium is, to not believe or not think that you have to have the budget in order to create.

02:03:59 - 02:05:03 | Speaker 3:

And can I also say something? And I cannot, for the life of me, remember who was accepting the award. But somebody got up there, a man, and said something about, please, please, can we keep going to the theater? As the director, Sean. Okay, to watch movies instead of putting them straight to streaming services or, you know, in these distribution companies need to make sure that these films are going to the movie theater so we can continue to get that experience because it is totally different. Shout out to Paul Glanson, Imagine. Absolutely, yeah. So, Anora named Best Picture, Mikey Madison won for Best Actress, even though I think all eyes were on Demi Moore for that one. And Sean Baker earning the honors, that's what I was talking about, for Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Editing. The show kicked off so strong. Ariana Grande doing Somewhere Over the Rainbow. And then she was joined on stage by her weekend co-star, Cynthia. Erivo. I mean, I just got goosebumps every time they sing. It's insane.

02:05:03 - 02:05:14 | Speaker 1:

No wizard that there is or was is ever gonna bring me down.

02:05:19 - 02:05:19 | Speaker 7:

That's amazing.

02:05:20 - 02:05:20 | Speaker 3:

It is.

02:05:20 - 02:05:26 | Speaker 7:

And then at the end of the night, they left going, that mother effing. They only won Oscars.

02:05:26 - 02:05:36 | Speaker 5:

I think Ariana was robbed. I don't know about Cynthia Erivo. I wanted her to win because I want her to be the youngest EGOT winner, but I do think Ariana was robbed this year.

02:05:36 - 02:05:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, Timothee Chalamet missing his chance to become the youngest Oscar winner in that Best Actor category.

02:05:41 - 02:05:45 | Speaker 7:

Cynthia Erivo, to me, was better in that movie than Ariana Grande.

02:05:45 - 02:05:51 | Speaker 5:

I agree, but I think the leading ladies category was harder than Ariana's. Okay.

02:05:51 - 02:05:58 | Speaker 6:

Jossie, Halle Berry, Kiss, Adrienne Brody. Yeah, they reenacted. Yeah, in front of his wife, too, though. Are they married?

02:05:58 - 02:06:04 | Speaker 3:

I don't think they're married. Okay. You know who he's dating, right? Georgina? Are they married? Georgina Chapman is Harvey Weinstein's ex.

02:06:05 - 02:06:06 | Speaker 6:

Oh, God. Where's that mouth been?

02:06:07 - 02:06:10 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that crazy? Isn't that crazy? Yeah, I was trying to explain that to Wes last night.

02:06:10 - 02:06:15 | Speaker 7:

Is Halle Berry married? Nah. She's divorced. She looked so great last night.

02:06:15 - 02:06:32 | Speaker 3:

Oh, she's always looked so great. My God. So, Adrienne Brody, speaking of best actor for The Brutalist, Zoe Zaldana, named best supporting actress for Amelia Perez, and Kieran Culkin with the best acceptance speech maybe ever. I loved it. I thought it was so cute. One for Best Supporting Actor for A Real Pain, speaking directly to his wife in the audience.

02:06:32 - 02:07:14 | Speaker 1:

About a year ago, I was on a stage like this, and I very stupidly publicly said that I won a third kid from her because she said if I won the award, she would give me the kid. Turns out she said that because she didn't think I was going to win. And people came up to her and were like, you know, really annoying her. I think it got to her. But anyway, after the show, we're walking through a parking lot. She's holding the Emmy. We're trying to find our car. Emily, you were there, so you're a witness. and she goes oh god i did say that i guess i owe you a third kid and i turned to her and i said really i want four and she turned to me i swear to god this happened it was just over a year ago she said i will give you four when you win an oscar let's get to work that movie is so good

02:07:14 - 02:07:21 | Speaker 4:

by the way a real pain oh i haven't seen that everybody go watch it the guy from succession

02:07:21 - 02:07:25 | Speaker 7:

that's his co-star in Succession. Yes. Why does he always look like he's angry?

02:07:25 - 02:07:31 | Speaker 5:

I know. I think he is kind of a butthole in real life. I think he's kind of an A-hole.

02:07:32 - 02:07:39 | Speaker 7:

And then somebody was posting on social media, what was the other actor that was up for that Best Supporting Actor award?

02:07:39 - 02:07:40 | Speaker 5:

Sebastian Stan?

02:07:40 - 02:07:42 | Speaker 7:

No. For The Apprentice? The guy that won.

02:07:42 - 02:07:45 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no, that's the guy from Succession is supporting.

02:07:46 - 02:07:50 | Speaker 7:

Guy Pearce? No, there was another person. Ed Norton?

02:07:50 - 02:07:51 | Speaker 5:

Ed Norton.

02:07:51 - 02:07:56 | Speaker 7:

Ed Norton mouthed something like he didn't think that he should have won or something like that.

02:07:56 - 02:08:13 | Speaker 3:

I love when they go back. Like, even this morning, they're going back to see what Demi Moore mouthed when she lost the Best Actress trophy, and it was just nice. Yeah. Like, actually, that's the word she said was just nice as she's clapping. Edward Norton is getting hotter with age, right?

02:08:14 - 02:08:14 | Speaker 6:

Interesting.

02:08:15 - 02:08:19 | Speaker 3:

There's controversy with him, right? I gotta, I gotta, I don't know.

02:08:19 - 02:08:20 | Speaker 6:

You said the F word afterwards.

02:08:21 - 02:08:26 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, that's what it was. Like, he was mad. Is that what it was? Like, in an upset way, right? Yeah.

02:08:27 - 02:08:36 | Speaker 3:

So, where was I going with this? Kendrick. Kendrick. Conan O'Brien made a Kendrick Lamar-Drake joke at one point in the middle of the awards show.

02:08:36 - 02:08:43 | Speaker 2:

Well, we're halfway through the show, which means it's time for Kendrick Lamar to come out and call Drake a pedophile.

02:08:43 - 02:08:45 | Speaker 3:

I thought he did a good job.

02:08:45 - 02:08:45 | Speaker 2:

He was good.

02:08:46 - 02:09:13 | Speaker 3:

As host. I thought he did a good job. don't worry i'm lawyered up anyway so you get the oscars a couple days before the oscars the razzie award winners are announced the razzie's it's like a parody award honoring the worst in film the unlucky group of winners includes dakota johnson seinfeld john voigt won three different awards amy schumer director francis ford coppola after the awards was a big news story

02:09:13 - 02:09:33 | Speaker 7:

We haven't covered this this morning, but there was a 3.9 earthquake. Oh, in L.A. In L.A. that was felt in the after party. So all the people were freaking out about that because they were worried about what was going on. And then the big news or the big story that I kept hearing a lot of people talking about was at one of the after parties, Chapo Rhone.

02:09:34 - 02:09:36 | Speaker 3:

Oh, got on stage with Elton John. Yeah, that was good.

02:09:36 - 02:09:37 | Speaker 7:

They got on stage.

02:09:37 - 02:09:39 | Speaker 3:

Actually, he got on stage with her.

02:09:39 - 02:09:45 | Speaker 7:

She was performing. They did Pink Pony Club together. There, hold on a second, let me play some of this for you.

02:09:51 - 02:09:52 | Speaker 3:

Do you like this song yet, Roger?

02:09:54 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, honestly, I actually was singing along to this clip this morning.

02:10:00 - 02:10:10 | Speaker 2:

Is it too late for him to do a remake?

02:10:10 - 02:10:18 | Speaker 6:

No, she can't do that because that ruined Dua Lipa's career.

02:10:18 - 02:10:19 | Speaker 5:

No, let him do the remakes.

02:10:20 - 02:10:26 | Speaker 6:

Dua Lipa's career ended doing Elton John music. Yeah, I don't know.

02:10:26 - 02:10:44 | Speaker 5:

The Joker movie, by the way, won the Razzie for worst prequel or remake. Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga won worst on-screen duo. This year's winners, by the way, at the Razzie's take home a $4.97 gold spray-painted statuette.

02:10:45 - 02:10:45 | Speaker 6:

All right.

02:10:46 - 02:10:47 | Speaker 5:

I have more dirty.

02:10:47 - 02:10:50 | Speaker 6:

How come the music stopped? It's almost 9 o'clock. Can you do it next hour?

02:10:51 - 02:10:54 | Speaker 4:

Fine. Are we doing hurry? It's a good story about Gene Hackman, but fine.

02:10:54 - 02:10:54 | Speaker 6:

Oh.

02:10:55 - 02:10:58 | Speaker 4:

Fine. It's too dirty. And it didn't have anything to do with the tribute. It's an update on his death.

02:10:58 - 02:11:04 | Speaker 6:

No, we all know that he was killed. I'm telling you. Do you actually know? Okay, let me just... Tease it for the next hour.

02:11:04 - 02:11:22 | Speaker 5:

How many days he was dead before they found him? Wait, come on, I gotta know. Oh, no. No, no, no, no. It's almost nine o'clock. I gotta know. No. It's like an episode of The Penguin. No, no. You have to wait. I have to pee. For all of today's Dirty, catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or mojointhemorning.com.

02:11:39 - 02:11:41 | Speaker 5:

There's a lot to talk about.

02:11:41 - 02:11:44 | Speaker 6:

Listen, I'm dirtied out right now. I need to...

02:11:44 - 02:11:53 | Speaker 5:

02:11:53 - 02:12:05 | Speaker 6:

Rest in peace, Angie Stone. Yes, I did see that. Oh, did you see who they missed in the death? Yes, Michelle Trachtenberg. Do it next hour. Why are you doing it now? It's a lot of dirty. Go ahead. Allie, you there, Allie? You're a winner. Congratulations, Allie.

02:12:05 - 02:12:05 | Speaker 3:

02:12:09 - 02:12:21 | Speaker 6:

02:13:14 - 02:13:14 | Speaker 2:

02:13:20 - 02:14:21 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the Morning show. actually bad girls what you gonna do what you gonna do leave it to the two Chaldeans on the show oh no to be doing illegal criminal activity it's Mojo in the Morning Show so this next topic on the show I just want you to know I have to do this disclaimer iHeartMedia and the Mojo in the Morning Show or not responsible for anything that is about to be said or was done over the weekend by one Lydia and one Bianca, or as Kevin calls her, Kaji B. Kaji B. Where did the Kaji B come from? Kaji's her last name and B is her first initial. I know, but also you just came up, one day you just came up with the Kaji B thing. Yeah. And you did it. Look at that. It just works. Lydia, explain yourself here before I get the phone call from Tom Gores over at the Pistons.

02:14:21 - 02:14:30 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so Friday afternoon, Bianca and I decided that we were going to go to game eight of the Pistons game. The only problem was we had no ticket.

02:14:30 - 02:14:31 | Speaker 6:

Wait, you're going to what game?

02:14:31 - 02:14:32 | Speaker 1:

The Pistons game.

02:14:32 - 02:14:33 | Speaker 6:

You said game eight?

02:14:33 - 02:14:38 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and that was game eight, right? Game eight? Because they were on a winning streak. Oh, okay. So that's why we went.

02:14:39 - 02:14:45 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, they're playing the Denver Nuggets, right? Yeah. Very good team, very good team. Okay, what's going on?

02:14:46 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 1:

So Bianca told me she had asked Kev for a pair of tickets, and he said, nah. So I was like, okay, we're going to be left to buying them, which was fine. So we were on our way to the game. We still had no tickets at this point because we decided to wait until the last minute.

02:15:00 - 02:15:35 | Speaker 4:

And I said, well, we could probably get them at the box office. And Bianca was so stressed. She was like, we're not going to be able to get these tickets. I'm like, we're going to be fine. Trust me. We are running from the parking garage to the box office. And then she's like, why don't we ask some people out here? Tell me why she walks up to this guy who's standing outside of Little Caesars. She's like, hey, you got some tickets? He's like, well, no, I can get you in for 50 bucks, though. Like 50 bucks each. So she's like, OK, bet. So we give this guy $100. He gets us into Little Caesars Arena, and we just jumped in some seats.

02:15:35 - 02:15:43 | Speaker 1:

Hold on a second. Stop for a second. So is it a guy that worked for the arena, or who's this guy that's out in front? And how do I get his name?

02:15:43 - 02:15:53 | Speaker 4:

He had no credentials. He just got us in through the side door. You gave this man $100? Yeah. He walked us all the way to a section where we could just sit down and choose seats. Oh, wait a second.

02:15:53 - 02:15:55 | Speaker 1:

So he walked in the building.

02:15:55 - 02:15:58 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. Yeah, he got us past security and the ushers, everything.

02:15:58 - 02:16:03 | Speaker 5:

I didn't even pay this man until we were in the concourse. That was my other question. What? Yeah.

02:16:03 - 02:16:03 | Speaker 2:

Who is he?

02:16:04 - 02:16:11 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. This man acted like he knew everyone. He knew the people at the tickets, like at the front. He knew the ushers in the sections. And we're like.

02:16:12 - 02:16:15 | Speaker 1:

Wait, so anybody get a picture with this man? No, but I got a video.

02:16:16 - 02:16:19 | Speaker 3:

Why do I feel like it would have been cheaper for you to just buy tickets?

02:16:19 - 02:16:21 | Speaker 1:

No, this is amazing. That's what I was saying.

02:16:21 - 02:16:22 | Speaker 3:

It was expensive.

02:16:22 - 02:16:29 | Speaker 1:

Megan, these tickets were going on StubHub for well over face value because it was the Denver Nuggets and Jokic was in town.

02:16:29 - 02:16:37 | Speaker 3:

But did you get there after the game started? Yeah, we did. See, I would have sat on one of those ticket sites, and I'm sure they dropped down to below $50.

02:16:37 - 02:16:40 | Speaker 1:

I don't know, but were they good seats? Like, were they good seats they were in?

02:16:41 - 02:16:41 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah.

02:16:41 - 02:16:45 | Speaker 5:

We got great seats. We were, like, in the player family section. Oh.

02:16:46 - 02:17:15 | Speaker 1:

So, okay, so I want to go back. I want to do a little investigative reporting here right now, okay? I'm going to do my, I'm going to put on my, uh, my Devin Skillian. Um, I'm going to ask you guys a couple of questions. I want you to answer them honestly. Uh, the seats that he put you in were seats that he didn't like start looking around and just starts going, Oh, there's an empty area. There's an empty area. He just like confidently walked to that area and knew that those seats were going to be empty.

02:17:16 - 02:17:22 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. And Bianca was all for it. So she was following him right away and I got scared. I'm like, I cannot get banned from LCA.

02:17:22 - 02:17:25 | Speaker 1:

How did he even get in, though? Well, yeah.

02:17:25 - 02:17:31 | Speaker 5:

He knew people. He acted like he knew people. He was, like, dabbing people up. And we were just following him. Wait.

02:17:31 - 02:17:37 | Speaker 1:

Okay. And then when you guys walked in, the door that you walked in, is it a normal door that anybody would walk in with a ticket?

02:17:37 - 02:17:39 | Speaker 5:

It was where you go to scan your tickets like every other person.

02:17:40 - 02:17:42 | Speaker 1:

And what did they do when they had to scan a ticket? What did he scan?

02:17:43 - 02:17:49 | Speaker 5:

He walked up to the ticket guys, whispered something in their ear, and he, like, gestured for us to come, and then we walked right through.

02:17:50 - 02:17:51 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God.

02:17:51 - 02:18:10 | Speaker 1:

This is unbelievable. Do we know, if I showed you pictures of the Pistons general manager. It was Isaiah Thomas. Like, if I showed you famous people, like, would you guys know who this person was? Because I'm sitting there thinking to myself, this guy must be somebody big within the organization.

02:18:11 - 02:18:23 | Speaker 5:

He said he worked at Little Caesars Arena, but I don't know how much I believe that. I would never rat him out, though. That's my guy. Did you get his number? Did you do it again? We're gatekeeping him. I know what he looks like. I know what entrance he went in, so I'm going there any single time I need tickets from now on.

02:18:24 - 02:18:29 | Speaker 1:

Was it just the $50 a ticket, or did you guys have to do any kind of sexual favors at all for these guys?

02:18:29 - 02:18:30 | Speaker 5:

Oh, God. No, dog.

02:18:30 - 02:18:32 | Speaker 1:

I'm just making sure. I'm just making sure.

02:18:32 - 02:18:33 | Speaker 5:

$50 cash. That's it.

02:18:33 - 02:19:02 | Speaker 1:

Okay. All right. I want to ask a question. What did you sneak into? If you were somebody that has ever snuck in somewhere, I want to know how you snuck in and where you snuck into, because that's pretty amazing that you were able to get in and go to, you know, what was a tough game to get tickets to. And if that guy is listening, I got some concerts coming up here soon. I'd like to have a conversation with you guys. That's nuts. I've got to see the video of this guy. I wonder if I recognize him. Yeah.

02:19:02 - 02:19:03 | Speaker 5:

I got a little video under cover.

02:19:04 - 02:19:10 | Speaker 2:

My cousin has never, ever paid to get into a movie, an amusement park.

02:19:11 - 02:19:13 | Speaker 1:

Are you talking about the cousin I know of?

02:19:13 - 02:19:23 | Speaker 2:

Our misfit, yes. He's gotten into, like, the Super Bowl parties. He's the cousin Eddie of the Mojo in the Morning show. He's probably still at an Oscars after party right now. It's insane.

02:19:23 - 02:19:27 | Speaker 1:

Her cousin, tell everybody, Shannon, Mojo in the Morning misfit.

02:19:28 - 02:19:29 | Speaker 2:

His name's Cousin Russ. Cousin Russ.

02:19:29 - 02:19:35 | Speaker 1:

This guy is at everything. Except Shannon's house on Thanksgiving.

02:19:35 - 02:19:35 | Speaker 2:

Her Christmas.

02:19:36 - 02:19:38 | Speaker 1:

He does not know where Shannon lives.

02:19:38 - 02:19:58 | Speaker 2:

He'll post photos, I guarantee today, of him and Demi Moore eating french fries after the Oscars. What? him i swear to you i don't know hey he selfies with tom brady at all the super bowl stuff like it's crazy how does he do it i don't know how does but i don't want it no the big one is how does he

02:19:58 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 1:

do that but

02:20:00 - 02:20:01 | Speaker 2:

still does not ever get an invite to your house?

02:20:03 - 02:20:04 | Speaker 7:

Well, you know him.

02:20:04 - 02:20:09 | Speaker 2:

I know, but how does he find out how to get into that? He even knows my address.

02:20:10 - 02:20:10 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

02:20:10 - 02:20:15 | Speaker 2:

He and his dynamic duo friend, his boy Wonder.

02:20:15 - 02:20:16 | Speaker 7:

That's my other cousin.

02:20:16 - 02:20:22 | Speaker 2:

He and Robin, the boy Wonder, send me Christmas cards to my house. They know my address. They don't know Shannon's address.

02:20:22 - 02:20:25 | Speaker 7:

And I did not give them your address. Stephanie. Let the record show.

02:20:25 - 02:20:27 | Speaker 2:

Stephanie, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

02:20:28 - 02:20:45 | Speaker 6:

Hey. Um, so they probably got in because he's a security guard or works for 313%. He probably worked the overnight of the morning shift and didn't have his credentials on, but we still know all the people that we work with. Oh, do you work for them? It's super easy to do something like that.

02:20:45 - 02:20:51 | Speaker 7:

Does that happen a lot where people just bring other people in and you know what they're doing, making some cash on the side?

02:20:52 - 02:21:14 | Speaker 6:

Uh, old school, high knob before it turned back to high knob when it was DTE, super easy. I've never actually worked at LCA, so I couldn't tell you that one. I've done Ford Field. It's a little bit harder on Ford Field. We're a little bit more stricter. But if you know the right security guard and he's off duty, it's kind of easy.

02:21:14 - 02:21:43 | Speaker 2:

That's wild. It's funny. I used to be able to have a good connection at the Palace. I feel like Little Suisers was way more buttoned up than the Palace was. The Palace one was easy just because I would drop, you know, names of people. And they actually were cool with it, like Tom Wilson and stuff who used to run it. But now it's like Little Caesars. I feel like, man, I get patted down. Nowadays they've got security measures that are crazy in all these venues. Rich, what's going on? Although I do not have boobs. If I had boobs, I'd get in better. What's going on, Rich?

02:21:43 - 02:21:44 | Speaker 1:

Yo, what's up, Mojo?

02:21:44 - 02:21:45 | Speaker 2:

Hi.

02:21:46 - 02:22:03 | Speaker 1:

So I, like, this was two years ago. I was like high on weed. I was with a couple friends, and we got, like, robbed by some mafia dude. So I went in, like, went in. This was in Patterson, New Jersey. I went in, snuck into their headquarters kind of thing, almost got killed.

02:22:04 - 02:22:07 | Speaker 2:

Wait, the mafia has a headquarters?

02:22:08 - 02:22:10 | Speaker 1:

Well, that's what I thought, at least. I don't know.

02:22:12 - 02:22:19 | Speaker 2:

What is the headquarters of the – this is in – wait, is this like the Sopranos house or something like that? Are you –

02:22:19 - 02:22:26 | Speaker 1:

No, I just walked in through the back door. I was high on weed. I didn't know what I was doing.

02:22:26 - 02:22:29 | Speaker 2:

Buddy, you had to be high on weed. That'd be the one place I'm not sneaking into.

02:22:29 - 02:23:02 | Speaker 1:

Right. Oh, wait, but listen to this. Listen to this. It was crazy. I walk in, okay, and some dude is like, hey, what's up? And I'm like, yo, I'm looking for the boss. And he was like, wait, the boss doesn't even ever come here. What are you doing? And I'm like, yeah, he does. He told me I should meet him here. And he was like, okay. So he lets me into the big room. And this big room, there's like probably 25 other mafia people. I got another dude in their thing. I walk over to one of them. And I'm like, yo, where can I get my gun? I lost it. And the guy was like, get out of here. He, like, pulls out a gun on me. And, like, they, like, put me in a headlock. They brought me into a room.

02:23:03 - 02:23:08 | Speaker 2:

Dude, you were not on weed. I'm telling you. You were taking meth. You were on, there was, like, crazy stuff that you were on at that time.

02:23:09 - 02:23:10 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, probably, honestly.

02:23:10 - 02:23:16 | Speaker 2:

It was, like, pure cocaine or something that you're doing at that time. Madeline, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi. Where did you sneak into, Madeline?

02:23:17 - 02:24:01 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. Okay, so this was, I don't even know what year it was, but, like, oh like early 2010 or something like that and it was right before justin bieber got super famous and he was so unknown at this point he was performing at the royal oak music theater oh wow yeah like so small so one of my good friends aunt used to work for the royal oak music theater and she's like yeah madeline and sarah do you want to go see justin bieber and And we're like, uh, yeah. So she got us in, like, the cliche, like, through the back door way. And we got to see Justin Bieber for free. So, super cool.

02:24:01 - 02:24:05 | Speaker 2:

Why do I always giggle whenever any girl says, I got in through the back door?

02:24:06 - 02:24:06 | Speaker 5:

Back door.

02:24:07 - 02:24:18 | Speaker 2:

I know. That's crazy. That's nuts. Yeah. Royal Oak Music Theater was the days when he was just a little child. What's going on, Sierra?

02:24:20 - 02:24:26 | Speaker 4:

Hi. You guys are about to get this guy fired when they pull that security camera and see who's going in the side door.

02:24:26 - 02:24:29 | Speaker 2:

That's what I'm thinking, too. This guy's in trouble.

02:24:30 - 02:24:33 | Speaker 7:

I bet this stuff happens all the time.

02:24:33 - 02:24:38 | Speaker 2:

Probably his act is done after this one. What's up, Kimberly? Hi.

02:24:39 - 02:24:40 | Speaker 3:

Good morning.

02:24:40 - 02:24:41 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. How are you doing?

02:24:42 - 02:24:44 | Speaker 3:

So I'm good. How are you guys?

02:24:44 - 02:24:45 | Speaker 2:

Fantastic. Go ahead.

02:24:45 - 02:24:53 | Speaker 3:

So I essentially snuck into a Rolling Stones concert back when they were in Comerica Park like 10 years ago.

02:24:53 - 02:24:55 | Speaker 2:

Oh, so a big venue like that.

02:24:56 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so my dad and I were down there trying to get tickets.

02:25:00 - 02:25:33 | Speaker 1:

so we didn't have any and he bought tickets off of a scalper you know selling stuff on you know in the streets and he didn't realize you know you don't buy paper tickets or like print it out tickets so we he gets the tickets and we go up to the um the gate and they're like these have already been scanned and thinking like well geez we just you know lost out on all the money and stuff and he goes to a different uh gate and i'm staying back so i'm like i don't want to get in trouble for trying to you know get in and the lady just let him through and he beckoned me over and

02:25:33 - 02:25:58 | Speaker 5:

i made my way in and we got to see rolling stones that's that's interesting there's a guy by the way courtney that made history for sneaking into every one of the big events i forget what the guy's name was if you look him up there was some kind of a documentary that was done the the guy I snuck into, I think, the Super Bowls, World Series, All-Star Games.

02:25:59 - 02:25:59 | Speaker 3:

Deion Rich?

02:25:59 - 02:26:00 | Speaker 5:

Is that the guy's name?

02:26:01 - 02:26:03 | Speaker 3:

They're calling him the world's greatest gate crasher.

02:26:03 - 02:26:05 | Speaker 5:

He was crazy. Yes. We had him on.

02:26:05 - 02:26:11 | Speaker 3:

He snuck into 35 Super Bowls, the World Series, the Oscars, the Olympics. Yeah. Deion Rich.

02:26:11 - 02:26:30 | Speaker 5:

We interviewed him years ago, like literally when the show first started years ago. And the guy had one of the greatest pieces of advice ever. He just said, don't stop. He said, just keep walking and just walk and just say, hey. And I think he, one of his greatest things that he said that he ever snuck into was a presidential, like, inauguration.

02:26:31 - 02:26:37 | Speaker 6:

There was that couple, the real house, the lady went on to become a real housewife, the Swahis, who snuck into the White House all the time.

02:26:37 - 02:27:00 | Speaker 5:

And they would go in all, and it's like, yeah, it's crazy. Like, that's the highest of, you know, security you can ever get past. And he said that you just walk right in. And we asked him the question. We said, what was the best thing you ever snuck into? when it was a Super Bowl at the Silverdome back in the day, so a Detroit event. Courtney, what's going on? The girls are being questioned by the police right now. What's going on, Courtney?

02:27:00 - 02:27:04 | Speaker 2:

Oh, boy. It's okay. I'm their lawyer. They've done nothing wrong ever in their life. No, no, no.

02:27:05 - 02:27:06 | Speaker 5:

I'm sorry. You're not their lawyer.

02:27:06 - 02:27:09 | Speaker 2:

Their lawyer is top dog law.

02:27:11 - 02:27:15 | Speaker 5:

They're dogs, not cats. They're dogs. What's going on? I'm sorry.

02:27:16 - 02:27:43 | Speaker 2:

No, you're good. I was just going to say that last guy you mentioned, He might be the most famous for breaking and entering events, but Lydia and Bianca, hands down, prettiest. I'm telling you, I went up to him and was like, hey, do you got tickets? He would have been like, no, you can go to the box office. But because Lydia and Bianca were so pretty, they had pretty privilege. And they had $100. That is so true. I'll use some connections. It's fine. It's fine. All right, all right. Exactly.

02:27:43 - 02:27:51 | Speaker 5:

They get away. Our lovely Lydia, she's the angel of the show. But every now and then, a chick's got to shake some breezy ass, right?

02:27:51 - 02:27:53 | Speaker 1:

Yes, I'm shaking some breezy ass.

02:27:54 - 02:28:10 | Speaker 5:

Yes, indeed. It's such a good thing, by the way, when women are calling that out. Because every guy's thinking it, right? All right, it's Mojo in the morning show. I want to put Kevin in a better light after his topic earlier this morning that has everybody thinking so negatively of him.

02:28:10 - 02:28:11 | Speaker 4:

Don't say that.

02:28:11 - 02:28:12 | Speaker 5:

Give me something.

02:28:12 - 02:28:13 | Speaker 4:

I asked the people who was on my side.

02:28:13 - 02:28:20 | Speaker 5:

I know there were some people. But give me something good. What's going on, Kevin? Something good? Yeah, give me something that will make you look good. What do you got for a topic now?

02:28:22 - 02:28:23 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. What do you want me to talk about?

02:28:24 - 02:28:28 | Speaker 5:

Lydia has her on the list. I'm off the list.

02:28:28 - 02:28:33 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I mean, I don't know if I'm off. Well, okay. Okay. See, Lydia be putting stuff on there.

02:28:33 - 02:28:36 | Speaker 1:

No, because you literally said it in your topic. You put it in there.

02:28:36 - 02:28:39 | Speaker 4:

Lydia be putting stuff on there, and I don't be knowing she's going to put it on there.

02:28:39 - 02:28:45 | Speaker 1:

How did you not when we went over in the show meeting? We literally labeled that as the topic. I love when she gets spicy. Maybe if you get off your phone and pay attention.

02:28:45 - 02:29:04 | Speaker 4:

I was trying to make it sound like, I was trying to make it sound a certain way, but you done ruined it. No. No, you just weren't paying attention. I wasn't. Listen, I knew exactly what we were talking about. I just wanted it to sound a bit different. You really did. Like, we had some stuff off. Okay, you want to bring this on? Let's talk about it. I was trying to make it sound more theater, but all right. Here we are.

02:29:05 - 02:29:05 | Speaker 6:

Short King.

02:29:05 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 4:

So, look. Yeah, okay. So, look. This is girl. Very attractive young lady. Very beautiful young lady. Inside and out. a church going woman the whole vibe so uh it's a different type of interaction than the other women that i'm entertaining at the moment right so we on facetime we talking and i don't know how we get on the topic of the list that's why this is titled uh of the things that she looks for in a suitor and one of the things that she looks for she was like i don't date short dudes and i felt like she was directing it at me. I felt like she had her finger out pointing it at me like, I'm not going to date you. This young lady is a track star. She went to Michigan State University, ran track. She's about 5'11". So she's a tall young lady. I think she qualifies as an Amazon. Is she taller than you? Yeah, I don't think...

02:30:00 - 02:30:11 | Speaker 2:

i'm 5 11. how tall are you you're five something like that you don't seem short to me but you're definitely 5 11 and she puts heels on she's in her sixes that's what i'm saying and i told her i'm

02:30:11 - 02:30:21 | Speaker 3:

like pull out your heels i'm climbing trees i like that type of lifestyle and it make her booty closer to my hands if she's tall like that could you date a girl that was that much taller than

02:30:21 - 02:30:25 | Speaker 4:

you i didn't date a girl's like that you have yeah for sure we all the same size you can't

02:30:25 - 02:30:50 | Speaker 3:

her because you're off her list i i don't think i'm off her list though i one of the things now is that a way that she's flirting with you by saying that i don't know i'm i'm very i'm very clear and up front with people i'm not here to be your friend now if that's what happens that's what i'm telling you right now i'm not in this to become friends i'm in this because i'm trying to do something with you i'm trying to get to know you on a different type of level but yeah she told me i'm i'm not basically she said i'm not the guy she's looking for for real it's funny

02:30:50 - 02:31:06 | Speaker 2:

that you when you talk about this lit or this uh not list but you have all these different girls You qualified her by saying that she's really into the church and all the rest of this stuff. And then in the next breath, you're like, and I can grab onto her booty. What's wrong with that?

02:31:06 - 02:31:09 | Speaker 3:

Church ladies like their booty's a grab, too? What's wrong with that?

02:31:11 - 02:31:17 | Speaker 2:

I just love this. This is unbelievable. Single cab is a, I don't know. We got to get him hooked with somebody. Why?

02:31:17 - 02:31:20 | Speaker 4:

No, because I really enjoy all these stories so much. I don't think so.

02:31:20 - 02:31:23 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. I'm so worried about him. In what way?

02:31:23 - 02:31:30 | Speaker 4:

But I feel like you're not even really, like, you've gone out with somebody, and that's, like, it. You talk to a lot of people.

02:31:30 - 02:31:34 | Speaker 3:

I'm hanging out with people. I done been out a few times, but I'm just hanging out with people.

02:31:34 - 02:31:44 | Speaker 2:

Okay. So this girl, though, says to you that you're not tall enough or kind of insinuates this. That's interesting. Do a lot of women have lists? Like, do they have lists? That's so stupid.

02:31:45 - 02:31:47 | Speaker 3:

I feel like damn near all women have lists.

02:31:47 - 02:31:55 | Speaker 1:

What in the Ruby Frankie is this? Oh, God. Did anybody else wear the Devil in the Family or watch the Devil in the Family? No, I haven't yet. I've seen the devil wear a brother.

02:31:55 - 02:31:57 | Speaker 3:

Why do they talk about a list?

02:31:57 - 02:32:15 | Speaker 1:

Part of the first episode is she had a list hanging in her apartment of the different men she was dating and the qualities that they had and comparing them all, so that's why I brought it up. But, no, I think these lists are stupid. I think it really only gets somebody who could be your perfect match off of your radar based on something so superficial and unimportant.

02:32:16 - 02:32:19 | Speaker 4:

I was going to say when it's something like that. Because there are definitely non-negotiables.

02:32:19 - 02:32:22 | Speaker 1:

Absolutely, but when it comes to height, yeah, that's so stupid.

02:32:23 - 02:32:35 | Speaker 2:

It's wild because there's a couple of times where you hear these stories of girls that they won't date certain guys, and it's purely, I think, aesthetics, right? Yeah. They don't want to date a guy that's got dirty fingernails.

02:32:35 - 02:32:39 | Speaker 4:

That's a yes. Well, that's a hygiene thing. Really? That's a hygiene thing.

02:32:39 - 02:32:42 | Speaker 2:

Even if the guy was a mechanic that was working hard with his hands? No?

02:32:42 - 02:32:43 | Speaker 4:

Just to wash your hands.

02:32:43 - 02:33:30 | Speaker 2:

Just to wash your hands. So to you, then, dirty fingers, not a good thing. then another one uh not you know not groomed you know stuff like that like guys that uh uh don't like take care of like their hair and things like that or you know nose hairs and things that would be me by the way hair just sticking like this far out of my nose i don't see now you cleaned up no no it's it's there it's there you just gotta look the light is the light um and then there are girls that that are good wholesome girls that shannon you're not that they won't They won't date, like, guys that aren't good, like, don't have a belief in God. You know, they won't date guys that have been with a bunch of girls, you know.

02:33:30 - 02:33:32 | Speaker 4:

That was a non-negotiable for me, by the way.

02:33:32 - 02:33:35 | Speaker 2:

You wanted, you had to, a guy had to have a belief.

02:33:35 - 02:33:36 | Speaker 4:

That's foundational for me.

02:33:37 - 02:33:37 | Speaker 2:

Sure.

02:33:37 - 02:33:49 | Speaker 4:

But if I were to pick something, like, petty, that, like, I don't like guys with mustaches. What? I don't know. We're talking about petty, right?

02:33:49 - 02:33:54 | Speaker 2:

height's a petty thing that's a superficial thing well you talked about that with wes i don't like

02:33:54 - 02:34:06 | Speaker 4:

guys with mustaches all right so when you say mustache and i feel like they all have a very certain kind of personality to them too but what oh let's go deeper like what like what they're just trying they're trying too hard yeah you're right so what's all right so you

02:34:06 - 02:34:13 | Speaker 3:

talking about like just the top row yes yes you think they're cocky or no trying too hard really

02:34:13 - 02:34:16 | Speaker 4:

To be cool and unique. Like pornstache.

02:34:16 - 02:34:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh.

02:34:17 - 02:34:20 | Speaker 4:

I'm not like other guys. Never been my thing.

02:34:20 - 02:34:40 | Speaker 2:

It's funny because I could never pull off a mustache. There are certain guys that can. Like Burt Reynolds. Like there are guys, or Tom Selleck. Maybe that's what I'm going to do. But there are certain guys, though, like I see that are waiters at restaurants or something like that, and they come over with a mustache, and I'm like, these guys, man, are cool looking. Like I look at them like they're hipsters, you know what I mean? Right.

02:34:40 - 02:34:41 | Speaker 1:

No.

02:34:41 - 02:34:49 | Speaker 2:

But I thought that would be your look. It's the mustache thing, until you talked about how Wes grew a mustache and you didn't like it. Ladies like mustache. You don't mind him with facial hair, you just don't like him with...

02:34:49 - 02:34:56 | Speaker 4:

I love facial hair. In fact, it's to the point now where he shaves off his facial hair, and he knows I'm upset. Because I like it.

02:34:56 - 02:35:00 | Speaker 2:

What do you think about this girl that doesn't want to date Kev because he thinks that Kevin is...

02:35:00 - 02:35:07 | Speaker 3:

maybe too small or you know too short for him no he's definitely not small height to me i'm five

02:35:07 - 02:35:18 | Speaker 1:

feet tall even i am not going to date somebody shorter than me but this girl in her case i feel like that's silly because you're you are not i wouldn't consider you a short king like lydia

02:35:18 - 02:35:24 | Speaker 2:

said you're not you're not i already told her that i'm not going nowhere oh she's she's i made

02:35:24 - 02:35:28 | Speaker 3:

you right bro i'm telling you she's she's here question for shannon is this the one you were

02:35:28 - 02:35:33 | Speaker 1:

talking about like you were like really kind of like her like talking to her oh there's so many

02:35:33 - 02:35:42 | Speaker 3:

of them i do like talking jannon wes is around he's short he's five eight he's he's but you got he's a little just a little taller than you but you put heels on you're taller than him do you

02:35:42 - 02:35:48 | Speaker 1:

like that i'm not taller than him no but with heels no really i am five feet tall okay so i'm

02:35:48 - 02:35:57 | Speaker 3:

still shorter than him because when i see you guys in pictures maybe it's the angles of how you guys do it he he looks like if you put heels on sometimes that you might be a little but he i

02:35:57 - 02:36:05 | Speaker 1:

I mean, he was on the apps and stuff, and he was dating before he met me, and he said that that was a thing for girls when they found out how tall he was or when they saw him that they were not interested.

02:36:06 - 02:36:16 | Speaker 2:

And I think that's a superficial kind of mindset that a lot of women have, too, when they're dealing with a guy that's shorter than them. It's all about pictures. They don't want to look like they're taller than they got.

02:36:16 - 02:36:16 | Speaker 1:

It's so dumb.

02:36:17 - 02:36:18 | Speaker 3:

DeAndre, what's up?

02:36:19 - 02:36:20 | Speaker 4:

Hey, what's going on, Mojo?

02:36:20 - 02:36:21 | Speaker 1:

Let me guess. You have a mustache.

02:36:22 - 02:36:23 | Unknown:

No.

02:36:23 - 02:36:30 | Speaker 4:

I do have a mustache, but also a first time, long time. Yeah. Thank you, thank you.

02:36:30 - 02:36:32 | Speaker 3:

Black guys can pull off mustaches, by the way.

02:36:33 - 02:36:47 | Speaker 4:

I mean, I barely have any facial hair, so I can barely pull anything off. Oh, really? Yeah, I was just calling in just to tell Kev that he's 5'6 at best with Tim's on. DeAndre. I've been to a few Pistons games.

02:36:50 - 02:37:01 | Speaker 3:

DeAndre, quick question for you. Yeah. If a girl told you that you were too short for her, would that make you more wanting to date her like kevin's like more into this girl because how she kind of told them that uh that he

02:37:01 - 02:37:08 | Speaker 4:

may not be enough for her uh i mean possibly but i've also been engaged for three years and i'm

02:37:08 - 02:37:25 | Speaker 3:

also six four so i never i know i'm just saying hypothetically though she told if she told you like if a girl said i i kind of get where kev is it's the challenge so to speak it's like hey i know i can't grow my height but i'm going to show you that she locked in you think so i mean yeah

02:37:25 - 02:37:30 | Speaker 4:

confidence i mean i definitely feel good i mean kevin if you tell kevin that he can't do something

02:37:30 - 02:37:56 | Speaker 3:

he will figure out a way to do it he's very uh inspirational in that like where he he like there have been moments where you know i've said something to you and you're like i'll show you you know what i mean maybe that's just the best thing climbing trees i just love that i want to see what this girl looks like i'll show you you said she played she was an athlete at michigan

02:37:56 - 02:38:01 | Speaker 2:

state yeah she ran track all right only girl i'm talking to is siri right now i ain't talking to

02:38:01 - 02:38:22 | Speaker 3:

nobody else she's an issue is she as tall as angel reese maybe did you see what angel reese came out and said about i don't believe i gotta watch it lebron james's son he said that bronnie might be the worst basketball player to ever play the game been watching the game then um let's find this girl, and let's see if we can get this girl on the phone with us. That's not going to happen. The religious girl.

02:38:23 - 02:38:27 | Speaker 2:

Are you ashamed of us? Yeah. Do you notice

02:38:27 - 02:38:33 | Speaker 3:

that he's only introduced Shannon to one girl? And it was at that auto show preview.

02:38:33 - 02:38:42 | Speaker 2:

We know who favorites are. I mean, I'm not. Listen, I'm going to be honest. Surreal was the only person most of my family have ever met. Like, I'm not really big into bringing people around. Yeah.

02:38:42 - 02:38:50 | Speaker 3:

I want to know these girls. It's like bringing home your daughter, you know, like Joe did with Alyssa.

02:38:50 - 02:38:52 | Speaker 2:

What's up? Wendy, what's up?

02:38:53 - 02:38:58 | Speaker 5:

Hey, I'm just calling. I think this girl's playing hard to get and that's what Kevin likes.

02:38:58 - 02:39:05 | Speaker 3:

I think so. Yeah, that's exactly it. Kevin wants what he can't have and that's what this girl's trying to play.

02:39:06 - 02:39:08 | Speaker 5:

When it's too easy, it's no fun.

02:39:09 - 02:39:20 | Speaker 2:

I'm telling you. She only smashed one dude in her life, she told me. Really? Does that make you worried that she may not be good? No, I ain't worried about nothing she willing to learn we could teach amanda what did you want to say

02:39:21 - 02:39:25 | Speaker 5:

hi good morning cab you're just trying to climb the monkey bars

02:39:25 - 02:39:35 | Speaker 2:

one one bar at a time what what is this we're at a playground or something call me call me the ninja

02:39:35 - 02:40:15 | Speaker 3:

warrior we're back with more mojo in the morning next 696 more like 690 sucks this is mojo in the We got tickets to see Post Malone and Jelly Roll your opportunity to win right now. Text to win. Text the number 95500 with the word. Ford, as in Ford Field, where the show is going to take place. So Ford, text that to 95500. Standard text and data rates do apply. I feel like we just did the dirty, but we got the dirty again.

02:40:15 - 02:40:16 | Speaker 1:

I'll make it short. No.

02:40:17 - 02:40:28 | Speaker 3:

No, you got a lot of stuff that you need to tell us about. None of this, you know, no repeating any of the stuff I've already known about. I want to know all the details of the stuff I don't know about.

02:40:28 - 02:40:30 | Speaker 1:

Well, I got to do a little tiny bit of a recap.

02:40:30 - 02:40:35 | Speaker 3:

Just a small, quick, quick. All right. As long as you give me some details on some of that story.

02:40:35 - 02:40:36 | Speaker 1:

This is your dirty, dammit.

02:40:36 - 02:40:43 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but it's a good show, so I try to appease him a little bit. Look what Shannon brought me today. Nobody else brought me anything.

02:40:43 - 02:40:48 | Speaker 1:

He's been here for 25 years. You got to bow down a little bit. No, no, no.

02:40:48 - 02:41:11 | Speaker 3:

I don't work that way, but I do like this. I celebrated 25 years, and I was away. I was in Florida at the time that we were celebrating. Shannon brought me a present. You guys didn't buy me a present. You don't know what I got. What do you got? You'll see. Shannon brought me a bottle of Blanton's, which is like- What is that? Oh, you love that. This is very expensive bourbon.

02:41:11 - 02:41:14 | Speaker 2:

What is Blanton's? I have never heard of this before, so if you talked about it by now.

02:41:14 - 02:41:18 | Speaker 3:

Lydia, can you bring cups in? Because I want Shannon and Megan and-

02:41:18 - 02:41:35 | Speaker 1:

No, I don't have a bourbon drinker. No, no, we all got to try. I have to shout out my brother-in-law, Ryan. Shout out Ryan. He collects bourbon, and so he, like, I was like, is there one that, and he's like, well, does he like this kind of? I don't know. He just likes, like, give me a good bourbon.

02:41:35 - 02:41:36 | Speaker 3:

Blanton's is, like, good stuff.

02:41:36 - 02:41:37 | Speaker 1:

You've talked about it before.

02:41:37 - 02:41:38 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Hold on.

02:41:39 - 02:41:40 | Speaker 2:

Can you hold it up?

02:41:40 - 02:41:41 | Speaker 3:

Oh, so good. Look at that.

02:41:41 - 02:41:43 | Speaker 2:

Are you going to take it out the pouch, or it stays in the pouch?

02:41:43 - 02:41:49 | Speaker 3:

No, no, it stays in the pouch. Oh. I'm going to be, like, take the condom off, bro.

02:41:49 - 02:41:49 | Speaker 2:

It's okay.

02:41:50 - 02:41:53 | Speaker 3:

Real quick, let's all have a sip after Shannon does this dirty.

02:41:53 - 02:41:55 | Speaker 1:

No, because then she gives it to me.

02:41:56 - 02:41:58 | Speaker 3:

No, no. She's trying it. She's drinking some of this. All right.

02:41:59 - 02:42:14 | Speaker 1:

So let's talk about Adam Sandler and his bright blue Aviator Nation zip up. Crashing the Academy Awards last night with Conan, who hosted the show, telling him he dressed like a guy playing video poker at 2 in the morning. And he told him.

02:42:14 - 02:42:23 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, leave it. I have to. It's not you. No, it's not you. It's him. He's the one in you causes.

02:42:23 - 02:42:24 | Speaker 4:

I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

02:42:25 - 02:42:41 | Speaker 2:

You are all welcome to join me for a game of five-on-five basketball at Veteran Park tonight. Midnight tip off the guy from Nostarafa. Where is he? He's on my team. One more thing. Shelby!

02:42:43 - 02:44:00 | Speaker 1:

Well, not a new leisure there. By the way, whenever I hear Adam Sandler talk, I always think about our friend, comedian Craig Gass, who does a great Adam Sandler. Scooby-dooby-dee. The big winner of the night, I'll go through these really quick. Anora took home five of the six awards it was up for, including Best Picture. The Brutalist went home with three, including a Best Actor trophy for Adrian Brody, who I love, spit out his gum and threw it at his girlfriend as he walked up on stage because he knew he had to give a speech. Wicked, Dune Part II got two trophies. Emilia Perez, which was the most nominated film of the year with 13 nods, only took home two of those awards when one went to Zoe Saldana for Best Supporting Actress, the other went to the Best Original Song category. Speaking of that category, Diane Warren made Oscar history last night and not for a good reason. She tied the record for most Oscars losses without a win. She was up for Best Original Song for her track The Journey from the six-triple-eight, which I really want to see. So good, by the way. She lost to El Mal from Amelia Perez. So she was given an honorary Oscar back in 2022, but, like, has not ever won. 16 nominations has not ever won.

02:44:01 - 02:44:08 | Speaker 4:

This is Adam Sandler. You're listening to Mojo in the Morning. And he is very, very hot, and I do want to touch his hiney.

02:44:09 - 02:45:00 | Speaker 1:

So I want to give an update to the Gene Hackman story that I teased last hour. Authorities now believe that the actor and his wife probably died nine days before their bodies were found in their home on Santa Fe on Wednesday. Santa Fe County Sheriff Aiden Mendoza revealed that in a news conference on Friday. He said a pathologist determined the final what they call event on Gene Hackman's pacemaker occurred on February 17th. After than that, it was just, there was nothing. Maintenance workers discovered the bodies of Gene and his wife, Betsy, in separate rooms of their very secluded home. And again, initial theories were that carbon monoxide poisoning may have led to their deaths, but both bodies tested negative for the gas. And while they say there was no foul play, I saw that crazy actor, Randy Quig.

02:45:00 - 02:45:11 | Speaker 3:

came out over the weekend to say let's let's stop covering this up and call it what it is there are these mysterious murders that are happening to celebrities and gene hackman was

02:45:11 - 02:45:28 | Speaker 2:

one of them well they're saying that some of the celebrity deaths of people who have like the rights to movies like their you know their rights these actors are all of a sudden dying he claims and then the movie movie theaters don't have to pay their that's crazy oh but but

02:45:28 - 02:45:34 | Speaker 3:

What's also crazy, too, is Gene Hackman did not have any surveillance cameras inside or outside of his home.

02:45:34 - 02:45:43 | Speaker 2:

Well, that was nuts. And they said, they had a couple coroners that had a couple theories. One was his pacemaker had, you know, because of that whole situation out of the pacemaker.

02:45:44 - 02:45:45 | Speaker 3:

Which it stopped. It stopped.

02:45:45 - 02:45:53 | Speaker 2:

It stopped. They believe that the wife ran to go get his blood pressure medication and then fell and hit her head and died.

02:45:54 - 02:46:00 | Speaker 1:

But then the dog. Then what about the dog? They got three kids. I wonder if we'll hear from them at any point in time.

02:46:00 - 02:46:01 | Speaker 2:

Did you see last night Morgan Freeman?

02:46:02 - 02:46:04 | Speaker 3:

Oh, man. They were very good friends.

02:46:04 - 02:46:25 | Speaker 2:

They did the in-memoriam last night. Our community lost a giant. And I lost a dear friend, Gene Hackman. Yeah. And then they did the in-memoriam, and they didn't, they always do this. They didn't do all the actors. They left some actors off.

02:46:25 - 02:47:46 | Speaker 3:

People were very upset about Michelle Trachtenberg, who just passed away last week, and she was only 39 years old. But I don't know if you saw this. At the end of the In Memoriam segment, they had a QR code, and it said something like, for the full list, scan the QR code, and it led you to a website. I don't know if Michelle Trachtenberg was on there. I would imagine she was, but she wasn't part of the telecast. Britney Spears apparently not on board with Millie Bobby Brown portraying her in a biopic. Like a source goes to Britney says she does not see the resemblance, even though Millie Bobby Brown has literally turned herself into Britney Spears over the past couple of weeks. Britney doesn't believe that Millie has what it takes to portray her after seeing her audition tape. And I mean, Millie wants this role bad. She's even using her brand new father-in-law, Jon Bon Jovi's connections to help her get this role. But Britney does not want her to have it. They have not met in person or anything like that. But Universal won the rights to produce the movie, and John Chu, who did Wicked, has signed on to direct it. So, it'll be big. And lastly, Siobhan Zillis, the Neuralink executive who already has three kids with Elon Musk, just announced they've welcomed a fourth child into the world, a little boy named Selden. So, Selden is Elon's 14th child.

02:47:46 - 02:47:46 | Speaker 1:

That's a boy.

02:47:47 - 02:47:54 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that crazy? Hey, man, he's just following along. I don't like ribbons, so just perm for me. We're just permeating. Oh, God, that's a big set. Okay.

02:47:54 - 02:47:56 | Speaker 1:

Hold on, Jen. Feed the world.

02:47:56 - 02:48:01 | Speaker 3:

We're going to split this, okay? Yeah, come on. You know me. I can't even take our shot.

02:48:02 - 02:48:07 | Speaker 1:

No, I'm on the side. Of course I do. We're celebrating 25, my man. Let's do this.

02:48:08 - 02:48:14 | Speaker 3:

By the way, for all of today's dirty, catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or mojointhemorning.com.

02:48:14 - 02:48:16 | Speaker 1:

This is for you and Joe. That pour.

02:48:16 - 02:48:26 | Speaker 2:

That's right. Damn, right. If they did that pour at Capitol Grill, that pour right there would cost you like $800. Oh, my God. Right there. This is for you, man. All right. Cheers to Shannon's.

02:48:26 - 02:48:28 | Speaker 3:

No, cheers to 25 years.

02:48:29 - 02:48:42 | Speaker 2:

This is for you. Your purchase. This is unbelievable. Thank you very much. We appreciate it. Celebrity Dirt is Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the Dirty. You don't need Novocaine.

02:48:43 - 02:48:43 | Speaker 1:

Oh, wow.

02:48:43 - 02:49:13 | Speaker 2:

It's the best. Mojo in the Morning. And I asked Megan and Zach, just we talked earlier this morning. You got to go listen back to the podcast, which actually I thought was a really funny podcast where we got into their road trip together to go to the Red Wings Columbus Blue Jackets game, that outdoor stadium game at the Horseshoe. But then we got into the topic of the best chicken and we did our chicken vote because Zach got Raising Cane's for the first time.

02:49:13 - 02:49:15 | Speaker 3:

The opinions were crazy.

02:49:15 - 02:49:23 | Speaker 2:

Always awesome. And we did it as like an election. So find out who the president of Chicken is By listening back to that podcast

02:49:23 - 02:49:37 | Speaker 1:

Can I shout out Maggie? Maggie's the wonderful lady She's the marketing area manager for Raising Cane So shout out to Maggie She's a huge listener, mom's a listener How do you know her? You've been holding out on us? Just the homie Shout out Maggie She is the best

02:49:37 - 02:49:50 | Speaker 2:

Maggie Okay, look at this You got the connections I need a connection to find out If there's anything there that I could even eat I think I would walk in there and I'd have a gluten problem right off the bat.

02:49:50 - 02:49:51 | Speaker 1:

Just get the sweet tea.

02:49:52 - 02:49:53 | Speaker 2:

Sweet teas, I love sweet tea.

02:49:53 - 02:49:57 | Speaker 1:

Do not go in there. Get the sweet tea. But you have to have the toast, bro. It's worth it.

02:49:58 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 3:

It really is. I would get it.

02:50:00 - 02:50:37 | Speaker 2:

a lot of diarrhea for that toast there's only a couple of things that i'm willing to get myself sick because it's not just this you know being sick for a moment it's sick for like almost a day or so the only thing i have said is i'm a kid that grew up in chicago so deep dish chicago pizza sometimes is just wonderful like i like to clear out my system with that um and i'll do that the other one is i love bread baskets at uh at like good old-fashioned like down river weddings you know the bread baskets where the bread sticks that they will and they have the best butter

02:50:37 - 02:50:46 | Speaker 1:

too that's that's what it is the butter the little square like rectangle little butter you gotta slither it off with a knife you pull it out of the gold little yes yes somebody did text in and

02:50:46 - 02:50:54 | Speaker 3:

that they batter their chicken in store at Raisin Cane so you can get it naked.

02:50:54 - 02:50:55 | Speaker 2:

Oh, wow. Okay.

02:50:56 - 02:50:56 | Speaker 3:

Really?

02:50:56 - 02:51:07 | Speaker 2:

That's not an interesting one. Well, I'll have to try that. Because I did say that they get one up by Chick-fil-A because Chick-fil-A does have the ability for you to eat. Like, they have a gluten-free sandwich bun.

02:51:07 - 02:51:09 | Speaker 3:

Well, they have the grilled nuggets, too.

02:51:10 - 02:51:30 | Speaker 2:

But I wanted to get something with Megan in this. This was your first time as a Michigander, as Governor Whitmer would say. First time as a Michigander going back to Ohio and driving the highways there. Did you fear the Mounties or whatever they're called? Mounties.

02:51:30 - 02:51:33 | Speaker 3:

I didn't go to Canada. I went south. Did you fear the Stadies?

02:51:33 - 02:51:33 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:51:35 - 02:51:54 | Speaker 3:

No, because here's the thing. And I will die on this hill. They do not target Michigan license plates. They target speeders, and y'all up here are crazy, and you think that the speed limit in Ohio is the same as Michigan. First of all, let's be honest. What is the actual speed limit in Michigan on the expressways?

02:51:54 - 02:51:55 | Speaker 1:

80. Thank you. 77.

02:51:56 - 02:52:17 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Like, it is 80. That's what everybody's driving in the slow lane. So it's posted 70, everybody's driving 80 in the slow lane, and then it goes up from there, right? You hit Ohio and the speed limits are anywhere from 50 to 65 and you're still going 80. Y'all are going 30 miles over the speed limit. You're going to get pulled over. It has nothing to do with your plates.

02:52:17 - 02:52:18 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't buy it.

02:52:19 - 02:52:26 | Speaker 3:

I was more scared about parking down there because Ohio State fans are psychotic and they'll flip cars with Michigan plates.

02:52:26 - 02:53:07 | Speaker 2:

But they had to be careful because Michigan Wolverine fans are kind of a little pansy-ish and so they can push them around. You can't push Red Wings fans around. Red Wings fans will cut you. Like they will, they will, you know, a guy who's a Red Wings fan is a pipe fitter in Sterling Heights and he will, he will beat your ass if you touch his car where, where the Michigan people, they're all like, you know, uh, they're either Walmart Wolverines or they're like smart people and you can beat up smart people, smart people are like, it's like Elon Musk. Like you can beat up Elon Musk and get away with it. You cannot beat up a pipe fitter from the east side of Detroit.

02:53:08 - 02:53:53 | Speaker 3:

I do have to give the Columbus Blue Jacket fans a lot of praise here and a lot of credit because they were incredibly kind and welcoming. It was a great atmosphere. When the Red Wings did score, people were like celebrating us being happy. And same for them. I will say when I left the stadium, and we left a few minutes early because once they pulled the goalie and then got two up on us, it was like, all right, game's over, which was so unfortunate and such a bummer. I was hoping we were going to go to overtime. But all of the Blue Jackets people were like, hey, Red Wings fans, did you have a good time? Like, they were like, being, and not in a mocking way. That kind of came off mocking. They were super kind, fist bumping, cheering us on the way out. Like, it was a welcoming atmosphere. So much so that the guy next to me was very touchy-feely. God, I thought he was trying to sleep with me.

02:53:53 - 02:53:55 | Speaker 2:

What do you think he was doing?

02:53:55 - 02:54:13 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my, what do I think he was doing? He wouldn't get his hands off of me the entire game. At one point, the boys both went to the bathroom at the same time. And this fan grabbed me by my arm and my leg and pulled me towards him and said, we got to keep warm and put me up in his arms. And he was super hot. I was OK with that. You were? No, he was super hot.

02:54:13 - 02:54:20 | Speaker 2:

No. Well, I mean, saying you were OK with that. That's interesting. You, by the way, looked hot. Did you see those pictures? Yeah, you did.

02:54:20 - 02:54:23 | Speaker 3:

You did look real cute. Thank you so much.

02:54:24 - 02:54:34 | Speaker 2:

I have to be honest with you. It's awkward to say this, but there's most guys. Ninety nine point nine percent of guys have a thing for redheads. and your hair was looking extra red on Saturday night.

02:54:34 - 02:54:38 | Speaker 3:

Because it was the red jacket. Yeah, it was all the red wings gear. Yeah, thanks.

02:54:38 - 02:54:54 | Speaker 2:

So, quick question. Is it in a big event like that? Because if you're at the big house, or in this case, Ohio Stadium, and there's so many people there and you're scrunched, there are no seats. There's no place for you to sit.

02:54:54 - 02:54:54 | Speaker 3:

It was awful.

02:54:54 - 02:54:59 | Speaker 2:

They give you a spot, you know what I mean? Is that a good place to get touchy-feely?

02:55:00 - 02:55:09 | Speaker 1:

away with that stuff because i was gonna get away with he to be fair he's really nice he was really really nice and really really hot so i think that played into it i think if those weren't factors in

02:55:09 - 02:55:20 | Speaker 3:

the conversation i would have been like get me out of here is it is it awkward for you to get hit on in front of your brother and actually your two brothers zach the two no because zach

02:55:20 - 02:55:41 | Speaker 1:

in the corner was going let's go and then my brother is desperately trying to get me to date somebody uh so i no i don't think that's weird my brother's a great wingman actually yeah but we just had a great time like we got to go down on the field to watch 21 pilots i was like three feet from the stage it was so much fun it was a really great experience even though i was phrasing i

02:55:41 - 02:55:55 | Speaker 3:

didn't know that those guys uh and it's funny because i like 21 pilots music like they've had a bunch of hits that we got to play so i don't and i'm but i'm they're not a band that i would go see them in concert oh i heard they're amazing they are i didn't know they were uh columbus

02:55:55 - 02:56:04 | Speaker 1:

people like yeah yeah they still do small bar shows there they both live in columbus and like they'll be on tour they'll go home for a couple of days and like do a bar which i think is super

02:56:04 - 02:56:25 | Speaker 3:

cool call this texter that says look at mojo in his uh ignorance shine through this morning oh they bumped me they already knew no no no don't you bump her i want to know what my ignorance was on i all my stuff was facts everything i just said was facts i don't know who you are but let's look back at what their text messages are over

02:56:25 - 02:56:31 | Speaker 2:

time. It probably has something to do with the license plate situation. You know, the Walmart Wolverines, I'm

02:56:31 - 02:56:35 | Speaker 3:

guessing. Oh, you know what? They got to be Wolverine fans. That's it.

02:56:35 - 02:56:38 | Speaker 1:

He's an attorney who has his degree from U of M, but he works at J.Crew.

02:56:39 - 02:56:43 | Speaker 3:

Not at J.Crew. Man. Wow, that was good. I'll take the discount.

02:56:43 - 02:56:44 | Speaker 2:

That was personal.

02:56:44 - 02:56:47 | Speaker 3:

That was actually good. Can I give you

02:56:47 - 02:57:22 | Speaker 2:

a touchy Philly story? Go green. Go white. Bro, I was on a flight coming back from Vegas. It's pitch black. Nighttime. Dark as ever. Everybody in there, you know, you come back from Vegas. Everybody's asleep. Everybody knocked out. All of a sudden, you hear ah, he touched me. Everybody wake up like, what's going on? What's going on? Apparently, it was a woman and her daughter and this old man in a row, and the old man was feeling on the lady while she was sleeping. Oh, that's not good. That's actually terrifying to me. It was so crazy on that flight

02:57:22 - 02:57:24 | Speaker 1:

Because I sleep on flights all the time.

02:57:24 - 02:57:46 | Speaker 2:

That was a wild experience. What'd they do? So her son was in the back, too. He was a big old dude, like a cute dog. That's a fraternity with the purple and gold, the root dogs. He got up. That's my mama. They're flying into this cave. Everybody started cutting on their legs. It was like, boop, boop, boop, boop, boop. That flight was full. That flight was lit. Wow. Oh, my God. So they moved his seat. They made the dude get up.

02:57:46 - 02:57:49 | Speaker 3:

Wait, they didn't arrest him or anything for that?

02:57:49 - 02:57:58 | Speaker 2:

You know they have people wait after. Oh, yeah, yeah. It's nice. I'm trying to go home. But they made him get up. They moved his seat in the back. Oh, my gosh. It was a lot.

02:57:58 - 02:58:09 | Speaker 3:

I will tell you this. You women, you women, you women's, you guys get away with murder, though, because I have been in crowded places before where I've seen women reach out and grab dudes.

02:58:09 - 02:58:10 | Speaker 2:

I done had my ass pinched.

02:58:11 - 02:58:23 | Speaker 3:

But guys, for some reason, are fine with it. They're just, like, okay with it. It's like you get a reach around from some lady in a line at Walmart during Christmas time.

02:58:23 - 02:58:25 | Speaker 2:

I wonder if there are any ladies out there that like reach arounds.

02:58:25 - 02:58:36 | Speaker 3:

Really? Like, no, that they, but do women like, like, do you want guys, like, if you're out in public, are there any women that actually are into being, like, slapped on the ass or anything like that?

02:58:37 - 02:58:40 | Speaker 2:

No, that's assault. Well, there have to be women out there.

02:58:40 - 02:59:37 | Speaker 3:

Like, like, there are some, I wonder if there's anybody that's interested in that, though. Like, did anybody meet their significant other in a crowded place, you know, or whatever, like your situation, you know, where there are not. And I will say this to you. It's not appropriate to do unless the person wants you like you should ask, like the guy at the stadium should have said to you, excuse me, nice looking redhead lady. Do you mind if I touch you? And you never know what you might get. Like, if you ask, you never know what you might. In fact, it might be a good situation for you. And then your brother's like, what the hell is going on here? I just came for a game. I didn't come to sit there and watch my sister meet some guy at Ohio Stadium. Did Zach meet anybody? Were there any good-looking women there? Because I think that, no offense to hockey fans, too. I feel like I've already offended Michigan fans. I've got to be careful. There's not a lot of good-looking girls that go to hockey games.

02:59:37 - 02:59:42 | Speaker 2:

You serious? I don't know. There's some nice Red Wing chicks out here, for sure. Really? I believe so.

02:59:43 - 02:59:55 | Speaker 3:

Zach, come in here. Were there any good-looking girls that were at the game? Some ice baddies. Wait, is Terry the texter? Is this the texter? Okay, Terry, let's hear it. I want to know what I was ignorant about this morning.

02:59:56 - 03:00:10 | Speaker 1:

Walmart Wolverine fans, come on, Mojo. Well, there's a 50-50 on Wolverine fans. You're either somebody that went there or you're the person that bought your merch at a Walmart.

03:00:10 - 03:00:11 | Speaker 3:

Did you go to state?

03:00:13 - 03:00:15 | Speaker 1:

Where did you go to school? No, where did you go to school?

03:00:15 - 03:00:16 | Speaker 3:

I went to EMU.

03:00:17 - 03:00:20 | Speaker 1:

Okay. All right. But that's the thing.

03:00:20 - 03:00:23 | Speaker 2:

Definitely don't buy my merch from Walmart.

03:00:23 - 03:00:25 | Speaker 1:

Okay. So it was the Walmart part of the whole deal.

03:00:25 - 03:00:28 | Speaker 3:

Maybe she doesn't understand the saying. No. It's a saying.

03:00:28 - 03:00:29 | Speaker 1:

That's a saying.

03:00:29 - 03:00:37 | Speaker 3:

walmart wolverine it's to be demeaning the attention is still there yeah the attention

03:00:37 - 03:00:44 | Speaker 1:

the attention is that uh you as a wolverine fan act like you went there but yet you didn't you

03:00:44 - 03:00:49 | Speaker 3:

just bought a great sweatshirt right and i say to all the state fans in the room did you go to

03:00:49 - 03:00:57 | Speaker 1:

state and mojo where did you go to school at i went to broadcasting college but but but i actually

03:00:57 - 03:01:03 | Speaker 2:

have paid my son's tuition at michigan state yeah almost almost close no question for you

03:01:03 - 03:01:37 | Speaker 1:

if you're in a crowded stadium okay you're in the big house and a guy is good looking are the good looking guys okay to with you know touching you compared to the not so good looking guys no you don't like you don't want to be touched no because it's tough not to touch somebody when you're at a game and what i mean that is it's tough not to it's tough not to like you're in the big house if you're in the big house especially if they're playing ohio state where there's literally they i think they actually pack more people in than they say they pack in

03:01:37 - 03:01:44 | Speaker 2:

there it's impossible it's impossible you know so have you been in there during a during a game

03:01:44 - 03:02:09 | Speaker 1:

you know how many people are packed in there oh i know that but i'm telling you that yeah there's no room at all like you I have to sit sideways I mean normally I'd sit sideways anyway at most games to get into seats but uh there's no seats at all there's there's no room and that the thing one of the things that sucks did was this like this for the uh the hockey game did you have to stand the entire time because I hate standing during an entire game it was there were moments

03:02:09 - 03:02:15 | Speaker 3:

of the game where it was like super intense and everybody was standing and then there were moments where everybody was kind of sitting down and chilling out so it was a good mixture of both

03:02:16 - 03:02:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, because I will tell you this. There's nothing worse than the entire time. My legs are like, I just drove four and a half hours or whatever it is. W-K-Q-I, Detroit. W-S-N-X, ski and Grand Rapids. Gotta get your whole thing. V-K-S, Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning, live. All right, it is Mojo in the Morning Show. The phone number is 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is the telephone number. Shannon, you said that you posted something this weekend on social media and you got personally chastised for it.

03:02:55 - 03:03:44 | Speaker 4:

I did not realize that Botox was so polarizing. I posted a video of myself getting Botox because why hide it? I don't know why people do. It's not a secret. I'm not ashamed to admit that I have gotten it for a couple of years. But I literally had people in my DMs tell me they were unfollowing me because I posted that. What were they upset? And I don't know. But literally, I was getting comments like, unfollow, in all caps, or ew, you're gross, or eye roller barf emojis, or why would you post this? I mean, yeah. I did not realize that it was that big of a thing.

03:03:45 - 03:03:49 | Speaker 3:

That's so weird to me to be open about that and have people go unfollowing you for it.

03:03:49 - 03:03:50 | Speaker 4:

I was like, I'm going to block you first.

03:03:50 - 03:03:51 | Speaker 3:

Be blessed.

03:03:52 - 03:03:56 | Speaker 1:

It's wild that they were that upset about it because Botox.

03:03:56 - 03:04:00 | Speaker 4:

I don't think it's that big of like a weird thing for a woman in her 40s to be doing.

03:04:00 - 03:04:04 | Speaker 1:

Did you notice any kind of pattern to it at all? Like, was it a certain?

03:04:04 - 03:04:05 | Speaker 4:

It was mostly guys.

03:04:05 - 03:04:07 | Speaker 1:

It was? It was mostly guys. Wow.

03:04:07 - 03:04:09 | Speaker 4:

I would say mostly guys. Yep.

03:04:09 - 03:04:11 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, my first thought was that there's some hating females.

03:04:12 - 03:04:19 | Speaker 1:

Are there any women that get Botox and their men do not know about it? Like, are there any people that get it and they actually hide it?

03:04:19 - 03:04:20 | Speaker 4:

All of my friends, don't worry, I won't out you.

03:04:22 - 03:04:25 | Speaker 1:

Wait, most of them, a lot of them not tell their guys that they're going to get Botox?

03:04:25 - 03:04:33 | Speaker 4:

I do know a lot of people who keep it a secret just because their husbands either don't agree with it or don't want them to spend the money on it.

03:04:34 - 03:04:35 | Speaker 2:

Which one more?

03:04:35 - 03:04:39 | Speaker 4:

Because it can be expensive. Is it the money part? No, it's just they don't agree with it.

03:04:39 - 03:04:51 | Speaker 2:

Is that something you have to tell your significant other? Or is it just a choice you make? Like, for example, do you look at it like a haircut? I don't know if you tell Chelsea or whoever, like, I'm about to give him a haircut Thursday. I want to tell her.

03:04:52 - 03:05:20 | Speaker 1:

I get Botox or I've gotten Botox. And I probably need it right now because I haven't done it in a little bit. But I actually will tell Chelsea, I'm like, I need Botox bad. And then she'll call up her friend Jessica and Jessica Christie will get me in at beauty culture. But I will, I need, like, I look in the mirror going, oh, like every time I look in the mirror, sometimes I look at myself and I'm like, it's awful. And I get it. After I get it, it takes a little bit to kind of kick in. It takes like two weeks.

03:05:20 - 03:05:20 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

03:05:20 - 03:05:31 | Speaker 1:

And when it kicks in, I'm like, oh, smooth as a baby's bottom. I'm actually happy as hell. You know what I mean? I don't look like a freaking prune anymore, you know? Like, I feel good about it.

03:05:31 - 03:05:35 | Speaker 7:

Well, if you post about it, there will be people that will unfollow you.

03:05:35 - 03:05:44 | Speaker 1:

And I don't think... Which is fine. And it's funny because I don't think that you overdo it at all. Like, it doesn't look like... Like, you have naturalness to your...

03:05:44 - 03:05:49 | Speaker 7:

Well, I always tell my girl, Lindsay, I still want to be able to, like, move my forehead and my eyes and my, you know, whatever. Oh, not me.

03:05:50 - 03:05:54 | Speaker 5:

I know. You like to be frozen. Freeze it in place. Really? I don't want a single expression.

03:05:54 - 03:05:58 | Speaker 1:

Do you ever want it to be where you drink a water and it dribbles down your eyes?

03:05:58 - 03:06:08 | Speaker 5:

Yes. Yes. I literally, I'm the only girl who gets lip filler, and I'm like, more. Give me more. Most people are like, oh, my God, it's too much. What did I do? And I'm like, it's not enough.

03:06:08 - 03:06:17 | Speaker 1:

I will tell you lip filler is an interesting one. I've seen some lip filler that might be a little bit too much on some people.

03:06:17 - 03:06:26 | Speaker 4:

Lydia asked something one time. I was looking at her. I was like, baby, slow down. But then it evened out. It swells up. Yeah, it swells up way worse than it's going to be. Wait, did you tell her that at all or no? Lydia, did I tell you?

03:06:26 - 03:06:34 | Speaker 6:

You did. You were like, what did you do to your lips? But you guys are friends. That's my dog. It's the unsolicited that is just a little bit wild to me.

03:06:35 - 03:06:37 | Speaker 4:

But then it got right done. I was like, okay, Lydia, I see why you're doing it.

03:06:38 - 03:06:43 | Speaker 1:

So, Lydia, how long does that kick in before it gets to a point where you're, like, good with it?

03:06:43 - 03:06:45 | Speaker 2:

About a week. Yeah.

03:06:45 - 03:07:02 | Speaker 1:

Do you get embarrassed by it? Like, I've noticed this with Chels when she goes and gets things done to her face. She'll stay in a little bit more. Like, if, you know, she's not happy with, like, or there's one peel that she does. or one thing that she does where it's like oh my god anything microneedling you get a little red

03:07:02 - 03:07:16 | Speaker 5:

and swollen yeah for sure i was gonna say all the skincare treatments are pretty bad but like when i got my lips done and they swole swelled swelled swelled swelled swelling tints got it all right when they did that a lot i was walking around with red lipsticks like living my best jessica rabbit

03:07:16 - 03:07:24 | Speaker 1:

life uh what's up ember lee is on with us hi ember lee hey how are y'all we're good what's going on

03:07:24 - 03:07:38 | Speaker 2:

uh so i just wanted to say shannon the people that unfollowed you are the same people that get crows seen at the age of 26 so just don't be bothered if they're that angry about yours

03:07:38 - 03:08:13 | Speaker 1:

shannon they probably have a lot to be angry about but i exactly it's just insecurity i'm surprised that guys are the ones that are saying that oh yeah that's interesting i don't know i'm I'm not, I used to like breast augmentation used to be something that I was more like, oh, you know, good job. Like we even did breast Christmas ever. And then my wife got, uh, battled breast, uh, uh, implant illness and it changed completely what did a mess her up. And after that I became more, not that I would tell somebody you shouldn't do it, but I would also like say, Hey, have you looked into that?

03:08:13 - 03:08:16 | Speaker 5:

There's a risk with everything. Yeah, for sure. Absolutely.

03:08:16 - 03:08:17 | Speaker 1:

Caitlin, what's going on, Caitlin?

03:08:19 - 03:08:19 | Speaker 3:

Hi.

03:08:20 - 03:08:23 | Speaker 1:

What's going on? You're keeping Botox from your man?

03:08:25 - 03:08:30 | Speaker 3:

Yes, he doesn't know. I think I've been getting it for three years. Oh, wow. Good for you.

03:08:31 - 03:08:32 | Speaker 1:

So he just thinks that that...

03:08:32 - 03:08:33 | Speaker 3:

But my kids notice.

03:08:34 - 03:08:34 | Speaker 1:

Right, you wait.

03:08:34 - 03:08:36 | Speaker 3:

That's why I can't make an angry face.

03:08:38 - 03:08:41 | Speaker 1:

How old are your kids that they notice, but your husband doesn't notice?

03:08:41 - 03:08:50 | Speaker 3:

Four and three, exactly. Yeah, they're four and three. And we'll take, you know, like the goofy selfies. And they're like, mommy, why can't you make that mad face with your eyebrows?

03:08:51 - 03:08:55 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Do the kids go with you to get it done?

03:08:56 - 03:08:58 | Speaker 3:

No, I've never brought them to get it done.

03:08:58 - 03:09:05 | Speaker 1:

Because I would wonder if you're a mom that doesn't have anybody to watch your kids and you need to bring your kids with. Like, do you have to say, do not tell your dad that.

03:09:06 - 03:09:07 | Speaker 3:

Right. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

03:09:07 - 03:09:09 | Speaker 1:

You got to keep that quiet.

03:09:10 - 03:09:19 | Speaker 4:

That's interesting. Botox question, because I don't know. Is it like gas? like you can get like regular unleaded like is it like levels of Botox or is it just

03:09:19 - 03:09:29 | Speaker 7:

well there's different there's different kinds of products that do essentially the same thing and then it just depends on how much you get like you could get a lot in your forehead or you could just get a little bit

03:09:29 - 03:09:32 | Speaker 4:

like how much you get I don't want to get too personal y'all don't want to share

03:09:32 - 03:09:34 | Speaker 7:

I honest to God I don't know how much I got

03:09:34 - 03:09:37 | Speaker 5:

I've had anywhere from 30 to 50 units I think

03:09:37 - 03:09:39 | Speaker 4:

is that a lot probably in there

03:09:39 - 03:09:51 | Speaker 5:

50 is a lot but I was getting it all over the place I'm probably up near there I get it in my jaw I get it in my jaw. I get it in my crow's feet, my 11s, my forehead. What's an 11? In between your eyebrows. I got it bad there, so I'd be needling it up.

03:09:51 - 03:09:59 | Speaker 7:

I realize I have rusty. I don't have a rusty bitch face. I have rusty frowny face. So, like, when I'm not doing anything, it's hard to do right now because I, for the first time, got it right here.

03:10:00 - 03:10:00 | Speaker 2:

So I don't do that anymore.

03:10:01 - 03:10:18 | Speaker 1:

Hey, there are people that get it because they get headaches all the time. For sure. I did it because I grind my teeth. Yeah. Wow. I get it in my teeth. I just lie and tell people that's the reason why. Stop sweating. It helps with my migraines. I always tell people that. I always pretend like I had some handicap or something like that.

03:10:18 - 03:10:19 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

03:10:19 - 03:10:35 | Speaker 1:

You know, I got to do it. If guys get judgmental on me, you get some guys that think that you're kind of like, I don't know, not a guy's guy. I'm like, well, buddy, with the thing I suffer from, you've got to deal with it.

03:10:35 - 03:10:36 | Speaker 3:

Terrible.

03:10:36 - 03:10:37 | Speaker 1:

All right, be right back.

03:10:38 - 03:10:39 | Speaker 3:

Why aren't you getting a call back?

03:10:39 - 03:10:41 | Unknown:

Why didn't she call me back?

03:10:41 - 03:10:44 | Speaker 3:

We'll find out next with Mojo in the Morning's second date update.

03:10:44 - 03:10:46 | Unknown:

She was going to have my babies.

03:10:47 - 03:11:33 | Speaker 1:

Hey, coming up after the second date update, Irish on Ionia is the name of a promotion that we've been doing the last, I don't know how many years now. Well, it's gotten changed because it's not going to be on Ionia anymore. It's going to be off Ionia. So we came up with a creative name, Irish Off Ionia. I like that. We're going to be throwing a huge St. Patrick's Day party in downtown Grand Rapids, and we want you to be part of it. So listen just after we get done with Second Date Update, and we'll get you some passes. It's happening on Saturday. What is it? March 15th. 15th, yes. Thank you. just before St. Patrick's Day. St. Patrick's Day is on a Monday. That kind of is a bummer, but that's good, though, because we'll celebrate that whole weekend. So get ready.

03:11:34 - 03:11:37 | Speaker 3:

It's the second date update. A mojo in the morning.

03:11:37 - 03:11:49 | Speaker 1:

We're going to do the second date update. Why are you not getting a call back after you went on a date? Vanessa went out with this guy. And Vanessa, you're not getting a call back. How are you? You doing all right?

03:11:50 - 03:11:51 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Yeah, I'm okay.

03:11:52 - 03:12:16 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Well, we're going to find out some answers for you. First off, how did you guys meet? um so we met online okay on the app okay i get it yeah and was it only one date that you guys went on or have you guys gone on a couple with each other no just one actual date um so you know we've been flirting for a while and they lead up to it when you say for a while

03:12:16 - 03:12:30 | Speaker 4:

what's a while is it like weeks months um we tried to go on a date a couple months ago and then And, you know, like the holidays were there and then, you know, things just kind of got in the way. So it's been a long time coming.

03:12:30 - 03:12:49 | Speaker 1:

Okay. All right. Because I was talking to somebody this past weekend that went on a date with a guy that they've been talking together for more than six months and they haven't seen each other face to face. And I said, that feels like that's way too long of a time. But a lot of people are just so busy that it's hard to go out. You know, six months is a long time.

03:12:50 - 03:12:52 | Speaker 4:

That's a long time. This is almost three months.

03:12:52 - 03:12:58 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. All right. Zach is his name. We're going to find out what's going on. Zach, Vanessa's on the phone with us. Will you say hi to her?

03:12:59 - 03:13:00 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. Hey, how's it going?

03:13:01 - 03:13:17 | Speaker 1:

By the way, you guys both sound so, like, unenthused a little bit. And Vanessa may have reason because she's worried about what's going on. But, Zach, that just sounded like the most, oh, yeah, hey, what's going on? What's that all about?

03:13:17 - 03:13:24 | Speaker 2:

i mean i i don't know i guess i'm like on the radio having to talk about this okay all right

03:13:24 - 03:13:34 | Speaker 1:

so it's the radio making you nervous but you don't have anything to be nervous about if you're just going to tell us what's going on is everything okay would you like to go out again with vanessa

03:13:34 - 03:13:44 | Speaker 3:

i'm a little well no it's like i because i feel bad for like how i for like how i feel

03:13:44 - 03:13:48 | Speaker 1:

You feel bad for how you feel, or you feel bad for not calling her back?

03:13:49 - 03:14:07 | Speaker 3:

No, I feel bad for, like, well, okay. So, we had, like, don't get me wrong, we had a really good time, but Vanessa, she's just not a good kisser, and I feel bad having to say that.

03:14:08 - 03:14:18 | Speaker 1:

What? So her kissing ability is the only reason why you're not calling her back. Everything else was okay?

03:14:19 - 03:14:24 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, everything else was great. We had a good time. Okay. I thought we clicked, but.

03:14:24 - 03:14:27 | Speaker 2:

Unless it was tragically terrible.

03:14:27 - 03:14:28 | Speaker 4:

That can be fixed.

03:14:29 - 03:14:31 | Speaker 2:

Sometimes you just have to get your groove together.

03:14:33 - 03:14:44 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but we like, there was just like no rhythm there. You know, there was, there was like, you need rhythm to kissing. I just don't you.

03:14:45 - 03:14:53 | Speaker 1:

I listen. I don't know. I think I'd say I got no rhythm and I think kissing is not a problem, but can I, I want to ask Vanessa, have you ever been told that you're not a great kisser?

03:14:54 - 03:14:59 | Speaker 4:

Um, no, I, I'm actually kind of thrown off. I, I mean, I.

03:15:00 - 03:15:18 | Speaker 6:

told you that i haven't you know really dated anybody in a while um but i feel like kissing is one of those things where you can teach somebody how to kiss you can't you can't really teach somebody how to have a personality so wait okay good counter so if you like me

03:15:18 - 03:15:25 | Speaker 5:

yeah but you want me to teach you how to like we're we're adults here did you guys kiss more

03:15:25 - 03:15:54 | Speaker 3:

Was it more than one time or was it one kiss? It was just one kiss. I mean. Because I say that because I have been in relationships before where the first kiss was really awkward and terrible. And it was just because we were both nervous. You don't. I know this sounds so weird, but you don't know somebody else's mouth or kissing style or whatever. And then once you get past, once you get past that first awkward kiss, you're like, oh, OK. Now, mind you, there are also just terrible kissers, period. But if it was only one kiss, I feel like you got to give it a second shot.

03:15:55 - 03:16:09 | Speaker 5:

yeah but like it she was like both aggressive and passive at the same time like I don't know how to I don't know how to describe it give him some help

03:16:09 - 03:16:13 | Speaker 3:

I've never heard somebody call someone else a passive aggressive kisser ever

03:16:13 - 03:16:35 | Speaker 1:

I'm telling you right now a woman that is willing to be taught is a woman you need to keep really she willing to learn bro I done had girls who didn't do certain things and they weren't good at it because that's not what they did. But they were willing to learn, and it worked out. You're talking not just kissing. You're talking way more than kissing. Yeah, other kisses. Really? Keep her, bro.

03:16:35 - 03:16:52 | Speaker 2:

She said she's willing to learn and be taught. Why not keep that? It is interesting. There is something kind of, I don't know, hot about the fact that she said, hey, I'm willing to learn. But then there's also kind of a thing where do you really want to be teaching somebody how to do something? Megan's shaking her head no. Why, Megan?

03:16:52 - 03:17:15 | Speaker 4:

No, I don't know. i i don't feel like it's fair to have like a one and done with this kiss right i'm with shannon on this one sometimes it's awkward sometimes you're nervous whatever but i also don't feel like that's something i should teach you either or like commit to like if we don't match up and we've tried this a couple of times like i'm just gonna move on how would you feel if a guy were to

03:17:15 - 03:17:27 | Speaker 2:

tell you guys shannon and megan and lydia and bianca and everybody here how would the ladies not the guys how would you feel if a guy said to you i want you to do it this way i want you to go

03:17:27 - 03:17:32 | Speaker 3:

like this would you feel like he was i would hate it would you i would hate it you can't you can't

03:17:32 - 03:17:39 | Speaker 2:

it's not hot to you to be told what to do um you can tell me what you're into but don't give me

03:17:39 - 03:17:55 | Speaker 3:

direct directions oh if we're if we're no see i actually disagree with that when it comes to kissing i would not want to be told how to kiss if we're in the middle of having sex there's a certain way of giving me directions that i would really find hot yeah no no yeah but but telling

03:17:55 - 03:18:08 | Speaker 2:

me how to kiss you i would not like that at all yeah uh listener and it says here it says a guy named shannon is that right shannon that is correct shannon what'd you want to say about this

03:18:08 - 03:18:46 | Speaker 5:

all right so i know i can't swear so wtf like he's not even trying like seriously man um take the time uh even if she was like rough at one point and then the other point she was just like taking her time like she's trying to you know she's trying to get into the same mood as you when it comes to kissing like literally like me and my wife it wasn't it wasn't like all the time like you know always the best like but she did say and she did tell me that i've been the best kisser for her and that's just because we got into each other's you know mood got into the same uh has

03:18:46 - 03:18:57 | Speaker 2:

She told you that you've been the best kisser that she's kissed in the last week. What's going on? Ellie, hi. It's Mojo in the Morning. Second date update.

03:18:58 - 03:19:06 | Speaker 6:

Hey, my husband was a horrible kisser when I met him. He was like slobbery and gross. And now he's great.

03:19:07 - 03:19:10 | Speaker 2:

So what got him better? What did you do?

03:19:11 - 03:19:13 | Speaker 6:

I don't know. I told him that he was too slobbery.

03:19:13 - 03:19:16 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so you actually gave him some tips on what would make it better for you.

03:19:18 - 03:19:23 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I mean, it wasn't like so involved, but yeah.

03:19:23 - 03:19:23 | Speaker 4:

It was?

03:19:24 - 03:19:25 | Speaker 6:

It was, yeah.

03:19:25 - 03:19:27 | Speaker 4:

How long did it take?

03:19:28 - 03:19:31 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I don't remember. Not that long.

03:19:32 - 03:19:32 | Unknown:

Okay.

03:19:32 - 03:19:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. You know what's interesting is that we would like to help people, but maybe when it's a new relationship, you don't know if you feel comfortable enough. to do that like I think that there's something about the I would feel awkward if I was having to like teach you how to do it but I don't they only knew each other for a short period of time talking but it's the only short you know they don't first date going out with each other

03:20:00 - 03:20:05 | Speaker 5:

don't know if i'd throw out the baby in the with the bath water you know what i mean she is willing

03:20:05 - 03:20:12 | Speaker 4:

and able to continue the act yeah and figure out a way to get better you do not have to work for

03:20:12 - 03:20:24 | Speaker 5:

this vanessa what do you think you're better at though do you think you're better at kissing or you think you're better at more than just kissing so i i've never been told i was a bad kisser i've

03:20:24 - 03:20:32 | Speaker 6:

never been told i was bad at anything else um i might not be the most experienced but i like it

03:20:32 - 03:20:39 | Speaker 4:

how old are you vanessa you gotta get her back um i'm 23 okay so you're young so but sometimes

03:20:39 - 03:20:49 | Speaker 7:

again i go back to you may not be a bad kisser you guys just don't mesh yeah but it's just one time no he don't even know that for and that's what i said you need a second try

03:20:49 - 03:21:17 | Speaker 6:

yeah i think i think we need to we need to go again listen to her oh she she's mckenzie what are your thoughts on this hi hi i'm just i like i hear everything you're saying about like trying again but i'm on his side because like girls if the roles are reversed girls get the ick for like way less yes but but girls get the ick because it's something very specific for example i remember

03:21:17 - 03:21:40 | Speaker 7:

my friend Julie telling me about a guy and every time he kissed her on this date he would just nibble on her like nibble on her lip. That's, I almost swore, that's freaking weird. That's how he kisses, okay? That's weird. This is just like there was something off. I do think that's a fair point. It wasn't a specific thing. But I think she has a fair point too.

03:21:40 - 03:21:41 | Speaker 5:

Mark, what's up?

03:21:43 - 03:21:47 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what's going on? First and foremost, congratulations to Joe on the engagement.

03:21:47 - 03:21:48 | Speaker 5:

Thank you, pal.

03:21:48 - 03:22:16 | Speaker 3:

I appreciate it. You know, listen, I don't understand this guy. This girl is willing to try. She asked for him to teach her. And in this day and age, dating is so hard. I mean, he acts like he don't even want to, you know, engage and try to even be with this girl. And she's, like, putting everything out there. I mean, give her my number. I'll do whatever she wants to do.

03:22:17 - 03:22:20 | Speaker 5:

I don't think he's into her. I think that's probably the problem.

03:22:20 - 03:22:24 | Speaker 3:

No, he's not. He's not. And it's a shame because good girls are hard to find.

03:22:25 - 03:22:27 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. All right. Second date update on Mojo in the Morning.
