00:02:30 - 00:02:33 | Unknown:

Here we go, go, go. It's showtime!

00:02:50 - 00:04:07 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning show. Happy Fat Tuesday, everybody. Fat boy. Good to have you guys here with us. This is a very wonderful tradition, also known as Punchki Day. Yeah. The day that somebody in the office brings in those very heavy donuts known as Punchkis, Punchkis, Puncheks. I mean, they've got all kinds of different names to them, But I know that the Poles love them in Hamtramck. I was listening to Charlie Langton this morning over on our competitive radio station, WWJ, and he was out there in line. He said that the, what's it called? Paradise Bakery or whatever's the bakery? Palace. Palace Bakery, something like that.

00:04:08 - 00:04:09 | Speaker 5:

People were lining up at like 11 p.m.

00:04:09 - 00:04:20 | Speaker 6:

Is that like the popular place to go? Is that Poomsky Palace? They were open at 3 a.m. with a line of people out the door when Charlie was doing this thing.

00:04:20 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 5:

That's Wixie in Toledo. New Palace Bakery.

00:04:22 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:04:23 - 00:04:24 | Speaker 5:

Are y'all Poonski people?

00:04:24 - 00:04:52 | Speaker 6:

No. I'll be honest. I love them. But I can't have them anymore because of the gluten stuff. Come on, bro. I know. They have gluten-free ones, but there's like a place in Rochester I think you can go to. And then there's also one in, I think it's like Northville or whatever, that gluten-free bakery. and to me it's like not worth the drive you know i know some people get like all crazy i'll do it like for gluten-free stuff i'll do it for like gluten-free pumpkin pie on thanksgiving but i'm

00:04:52 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

not going to do this for punchki day to me punchkis just remind me so much of a loaded baby diaper

00:05:00 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 3:

That's an insane collection.

00:05:00 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 6:

Like, you get that in your hand, and it's like, you don't like filled things, though.

00:05:04 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 2:

I don't like filled things, right. But my Pop-Tart cookies.

00:05:08 - 00:05:10 | Speaker 6:

Wait, you don't like, what did you say?

00:05:10 - 00:05:17 | Speaker 2:

Like, I don't like, like, filled donuts. Anything that has, like, a jelly inside of it. Really?

00:05:18 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 5:

A strawberry poonski with the red busting out?

00:05:21 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 6:

Please. Yeah, I know. Sign me up for two. I'm a Boston creamer. I like to have chocolate on the top and the creamy stuff on the inside of that thing. Whoa. It's so good. What do you like, Megan? Do you like the pern ones?

00:05:33 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 3:

No. Pern? Yeah, that's like the traditional one, isn't it? I like the apple ones and the lemon ones.

00:05:41 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:05:41 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:05:42 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 6:

Man, oh man. Those are good ones. But those are traditional ones. Do you have Polish in you, Megan? No, Irish. Okay, so it's 100% Irish. There's no Polish at all.

00:05:51 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 5:

No.

00:05:51 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 6:

I used to

00:05:53 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 3:

Hence the Megan Mick

00:05:54 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I know But, you know, like I'm Cuban and Irish So I got 50-50 on that one But we were raised After my mom died My surrogate mother was Steve Gorski's mom And Mrs. Gorski Ski She was, man, she would make all kinds of Polish stuff Including, she made homemade ponchkis Ponchkis And she made galumpki and pierogis Oh, pierogis Oh, so good

00:06:20 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 2:

I love pierogies.

00:06:22 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 6:

Yesterday we talked Chick-fil-A versus Raising Cane's. We might have to talk like which ethnic families make the best food, you know? Filipinos. Who?

00:06:35 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 4:

Filipinos.

00:06:35 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 6:

Filipino.

00:06:36 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 4:

I don't think I've ever had Filipino food. Really? Yeah.

00:06:40 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 6:

I got to try some of that. Well, today is one of those days where I hope that somebody in the office or one of these places likes to do a free plug on the radio. Maybe they'll bring some in for you guys so you guys can enjoy. It could be the day. We're all getting fat. I liked it that the thing was you eat as much as you want because you're going to be giving up stuff for Lent starting tomorrow. That's the thought process? Yeah, because tomorrow is Ash Wednesday and then Lent begins and the Catholic faith. What are you giving up? You know, we should ask. That would be a good thing to the listeners. One listener one year, I think I did that as a topic. What should we give up for Lent? And the listener said that I should give up. Uh, uh, every time I say it, I have to, like, put money in a collection basket or something.

00:07:26 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 2:

Please don't give up the mojo in the morning, so. No. We've had people do that before. Please, please, please. You don't have to give up something for Lent. You know, you can also add something positive into your life. So just maybe add.

00:07:37 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 5:

Wait, wait, wait. Is that the remix? Is that, like, how it's supposed to be done?

00:07:40 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 2:

No, it's just supposed to be, like, a change that you have to sustain for the 40 days. I thought it was a sacrifice. Like, you're supposed to give up something. It is, but it can also be, like, a positive change. Like, for example, I can remember my pastor gave me the recommendation of, like, replacing social media apps with, like, a devotional app or something like that. So you're adding in.

00:08:03 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 6:

So I guess that actually is giving up.

00:08:05 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 2:

I guess. Yeah, but that's good, though. I like that one.

00:08:08 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 6:

I like the people that do do that. Like, they go hardcore. Because, Lydia, you're doing it, right? Aren't you? Or, no, Bianca. Bianca was telling me. Bianca's giving up something, right?

00:08:17 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm giving up alcohol.

00:08:19 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 6:

Wow, so you're going to go dry for 40, is it 40, is that what it is?

00:08:22 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 1:

I think it's 40 days, yeah. Yeah.

00:08:23 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 6:

Like when I was in the wilderness. That's bigger than, to me, dry whatever. January. Because that's only 30 or 31 days, right?

00:08:32 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 1:

I should give up alcohol, too. So, I'm actually going to exempt myself during Disney, though, next week. Does that count?

00:08:38 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 6:

So, you're going to Disney next week, where you can drink around the world or whatever it is?

00:08:42 - 00:08:46 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, look at Lydia shaking her head, no, I mean, she's so disappointed. You can't do that.

00:08:47 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 6:

You can. I think it's like no meat on Fridays, but you can actually have a priest give you a dispensation for certain things.

00:08:53 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 1:

Okay, I'm still going to do no meat on Fridays, though.

00:08:55 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 6:

This is cheating.

00:08:56 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 3:

Yes, it's cheating. Can I make a suggestion now? Dude, they bring all the fish sandwiches to all of the fast food places. Wendy's has the best one. Wendy's has the best fish sandwich.

00:09:07 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 2:

I don't think I've ever had a fast food fish sandwich.

00:09:09 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 5:

Bruh, I like filet of fish. They're good? I've had a filet of fish since I was like 11. Really? Looking at them blue wrappings just make my stomach hurt.

00:09:18 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 2:

I think you made me try one, Mojo, years and years and years ago because I'd never had one.

00:09:22 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 6:

Filet-O-Fish might be one of the better options because the bread, the bun that McDonald's uses for just their, like, Filet-O-Fish, it's, like, so silky.

00:09:34 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 5:

Silky? It's different?

00:09:36 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 6:

There's something to it.

00:09:37 - 00:09:40 | Speaker 5:

It's a different bread? It is. It's not just the regular sesame seed bun?

00:09:40 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 6:

No, it's kind of the same bread they use for the regular hamburger.

00:09:45 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 5:

I thought they all were the same.

00:09:46 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, no, they're so good. Wow. Yeah, it's like just, it's wonderful. And it's like the same kind of filet that they use in the Gordon's frozen food. We trust the Gordon's fishermen.

00:10:00 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 4:

I got a text from Grace over at American Coney Island, the non-rat Coney Island. Good morning, Grace. And she wants to bring over Coney poonskis. They put Coney's inside the poonskis instead of they filling them with... They teamed up with one of the biggest poonski makers. so they're doing the poonski outside but you make a uh a dog oh grace and i'm like that sounds like an interesting idea grace why it sounds it sounds like we're trying to kill people we're trying i like is innovative but she said she said just text me a second ago said you wanted some freebies i'll bring some stuff over to you guys uh what's up sean how you doing great how are you good sean Oh, Sean's wants to, the topic that I guess we got into off of all of our just, you know, smattering of craziness that we're talking about this morning is the best fast food fish sandwich. Wendy's, dude. He's like, I got a call. Why don't we do a podcast?

00:11:06 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 5:

If it's not Wendy's, hang up.

00:11:08 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 4:

No, no, no. Which one's the best, Sean? Culver's. Culver's. Oh, you know what?

00:11:14 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 5:

They have a fish sandwich. Yes, and it's year-round, and it's pretty good. You're right. Is it cod? You're right. Yeah.

00:11:18 - 00:11:22 | Speaker 2:

It's absolutely amazing. That was great. That's a random question.

00:11:22 - 00:11:29 | Speaker 3:

Is it cod? It's levels of fast food. Culver's isn't at the McDonald's level. Correct. I agree with you.

00:11:29 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 4:

It's like upper echelon fast food. What is it made with? Do we know what kind of fish that is? It's cod.

00:11:34 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 2:

It's usually cod, but during Lint they also have walleye. Come on.

00:11:39 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 3:

What's wrong with cod? I love walleye. I love walleye. You got to go to Detroit 7-5-K.

00:11:45 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 4:

You got to go to Toledo.

00:11:46 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 5:

There's a lot of walleye in Toledo.

00:11:48 - 00:12:05 | Speaker 4:

I personally would like it to be a sea bass if there's a Chilean sea bass in between the buns. I find it so funny that people actually do eat the fish. Although, have you guys ever been to little Long John Silver's? Oh, back in the day?

00:12:05 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 5:

Give me some hush puppies, baby. Oh, my gosh. I found a copycat recipe this week. Literally, Zach, my brother, and I were talking about that this week. Really? Yes.

00:12:14 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 4:

I used to see that yellow sign. That's unreal. That Long John Silver's.

00:12:19 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 5:

Do they still have them? Yes.

00:12:21 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 4:

One of my buddies growing up worked at Long John Silver's, and he had to wear that stupid outfit. And we used to make fun of him all the time because he would come over to the house after he was done with work, and he would smell like fish. We were like, dude, go home and shower before you come over and play basketball with all of us. All right, we'll get the show started here. We got a lot of stuff to give away. We got War of the Roses coming up. We got tons of good topics to get into. I mean, this is the show that we hope you are listening to. Whether you listen to us live or you check out our podcast, always available. Just search Mojo in the Morning wherever you get podcasts.

All right, all three things happened in the same year. This was the year, and I still remember it was like 5 o'clock in the evening when the news came on that Michael Jackson died.

00:14:32 - 00:14:43 | Speaker 2:

Both the Los Angeles Times and CBS News are both now reporting that Michael Jackson has died. I Love You, Man was the big movie. Will you marry me?

00:14:43 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 6:

Yes! Peter already booked the place we went for that long weekend. So romantic. So romantic.

00:14:48 - 00:14:50 | Speaker 5:

She doesn't know she's on speakerphone.

Mojo in the mornings dirty on the 30. We'll get you caught up.

00:15:56 - 00:15:59 | Speaker 3:

on what's trending right now in the Dirty on the 30s. Shannon, what's going on?

00:15:59 - 00:16:52 | Speaker 4:

Well, just weeks after his divorce from Jennifer Lopez was finalized, Ben Affleck was seen. And I'm going to read it exactly as the tabloids are writing it. Tenderly embracing his ex-wife and the mother of his three children, Jennifer Garner, over the weekend. And now the tabloids are trying to make you believe that they are getting back together simply because they were playing paintball with their kids together near L.A. and they hugged. That's a photo that's going around. One quote unquote source alleging that Jen Garner is the love of Ben's life, which might be the case. But I can pretty much confirm that they are not getting back together. They're just hanging out with their kids. I have heard this from about a million of my sources. Oh, really? Yes, they are just really great co-parents. They are not shy to give each other a hug. But anything more than that is just false. It is clickbait.

00:16:52 - 00:16:57 | Speaker 3:

You love to see people back together. I do. Although Ben is one of those guys.

00:16:57 - 00:17:01 | Speaker 2:

But I would not want to see them back together. Why not though? Why did he break up?

00:17:01 - 00:17:07 | Speaker 3:

He had a lot of problems. And then he also then kind of, you know, I think he went off, fell off the wagon.

00:17:08 - 00:17:16 | Speaker 4:

And she's actually been very happy in a relationship for the past couple of years and just laying low out of the spotlight. With a regular old guy.

00:17:16 - 00:17:20 | Speaker 3:

She just secretly dates somebody that you don't really know, huh? Yeah. Interesting.

00:17:20 - 00:17:56 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Kanye West is, was, I don't know, asking jewelers to design a swastika chain for him. He apparently posted on X, for all jewelers, I'm looking for a swastika chain design. And he posted that alongside an animated video of a bedazzled swastika. In a now deleted tweet, he said his custom diamond swastika chain is currently in development. So he posted the ask, or he tweeted the ask last week. Somebody's doing it for him, but deleted the fact that it is actually happening. You got good drops today.

00:17:57 - 00:18:01 | Speaker 3:

What is going on with him? I wonder what's his obsession.

00:18:01 - 00:18:35 | Speaker 2:

He took the words right out of my mouth. Yeah, what do you think? I don't know. From what I've seen, I've seen him tweet some things about how African-Americans have bowed down to Caucasian people for far too long. And he's reclaiming, I don't know, some sort of mentality. And this is his way to show that nothing can stop me. Why go after the Jews, though? I don't understand it. I'm not the... I may be Jewish, but I got a nice small. I'm not the Kanye whisperer, but that's just what I've seen.

00:18:35 - 00:18:38 | Speaker 4:

Why hang out with white supremacists and spell white supremacy phrases?

00:18:39 - 00:18:42 | Speaker 2:

We should interview Kanye and ask him, guys.

00:18:42 - 00:18:45 | Speaker 3:

God, I wish that I would take an interview. Why?

00:18:46 - 00:18:47 | Speaker 2:

Don't give him a platform.

00:18:47 - 00:19:07 | Speaker 3:

Because I'd like to find out more about him. I'd ask him the questions that these guys aren't going to ask him. But I would say this to you because I am a journalist. I don't know if you know that. I used to say back in the day I would interview OJ if OJ would have done an interview with us. And a lot of people thought that I was crazy for saying that I would. I wouldn't shy away from those interviews.

00:19:08 - 00:19:19 | Speaker 4:

Speaking of interviews, last night on The Daily Show, Jon Stewart addressed Elon Musk's claim that he would appear as a guest if, quote-unquote, the show airs unedited.

00:19:19 - 00:19:32 | Speaker 1:

After thinking about his offer, I thought, you know, hey, that's actually how the in-studio interviews normally air. It's unedited, so, sure.

00:19:32 - 00:19:40 | Speaker 3:

we'd be doing it so will he do it i don't know he just did rogan again and it was the biggest

00:19:40 - 00:20:00 | Speaker 4:

podcast last week so it's interesting about 18.1 million people tuned into abc's telecast of the oscars on sunday night that's a seven percent decrease oh from last year's broadcast it is the ceremony's first viewership drop in about four years and that includes streaming numbers by the way

00:20:00 - 00:20:06 | Speaker 1:

Doesn't it amaze you that they spend, the number is like $64 million to put that broadcast on?

00:20:06 - 00:20:06 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:20:07 - 00:20:34 | Speaker 1:

And $18 million, a lot of people, but it's not like Super Bowl numbers. I mean, the Super Bowl spends like hundreds of thousands or hundreds of millions of dollars to put it on. But that's close to similar, you know, lots of money. I think they do it for themselves, to be honest with you. You think so? They throw themselves a big party. Well, I think that they also do it. I think ABC does it in certain regards because it helps their other shows get guests and celebrities and stuff like that.

00:20:34 - 00:21:26 | Speaker 2:

Okay, be honest. Do you guys, have you guys ever peed in the shower in the morning? For sure. Yeah. Okay, good. We're all honest here. Nearly a quarter of Americans admit to regularly peeing in the shower. A nationwide survey found that 12% of us relieve ourselves in the shower every single day. 45% of Americans admit to peeing in the shower at some point during an average year. Men more likely to do this than women, 30% compared to 20% of women. 39% of people responding to this survey indicated that they exclusively use their shower to pee in first thing in the morning. Here's the gross part of it. The survey also found that the average adult only cleans their shower nine times per year. Not even once a month. Put your peen in it every day.

00:21:26 - 00:21:27 | Speaker 1:

It's going down the drain.

00:21:27 - 00:21:33 | Speaker 2:

For all of today's Dirty, catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or mojointhemorning.com.

00:21:34 - 00:22:15 | Speaker 1:

Celebrity Dirt. Directly from the source. It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. he cheated on his wife to be with you and now he's cheating on you shocker oh i listen to the morning show because i like war of the roses another world famous war of the roses happens at 9 40 on mojo in the morning scandalous wow five and six fifty five coming up here in just a little bit it is mojo in the morning so shannon you were texting back and forth uh and uh you notice something that really was nothing to do with the conversation yeah so I was texting back

00:22:15 - 00:22:59 | Speaker 2:

and forth with a really good friend of mine and he was sending me screenshots of a conversation that he was having with his ex-boyfriend okay and so he was trying to show me something that was in the screenshots and I'm not even paying attention to the screenshots what caught my attention was that he has his ex-boyfriend, whose name is Zach, labeled in his phone as Zachy. Oh, no. And he's, you actually know him, and he is in a very, very committed relationship. And I said, I'm more concerned that you have your ex still labeled by the pet name, I'm guessing, that you called him when you guys were dating. Zachy.

00:22:59 - 00:23:00 | Speaker 1:

Jesus Christ.

00:23:00 - 00:23:02 | Speaker 2:

Still, still in your phone.

00:23:03 - 00:23:04 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you got to change that immediately.

00:23:04 - 00:23:13 | Speaker 2:

I think so, too. We got to go full legal name. Like, whatever's on the barstas is to get when you break up. Or just Zach. But Zach, he is still, to me, see, I don't like this.

00:23:13 - 00:23:19 | Speaker 1:

Are we judging a gay man? We cannot judge a gay man. We are still judging a gay man. No, we are not.

00:23:19 - 00:23:31 | Speaker 2:

Because I am judging. Okay, that sounded gay. 25, we need to judge everybody equally. Exactly. I would be very upset if, let me tell you what Wes's ex-wife is named in his phone.

00:23:31 - 00:24:10 | Speaker 1:

the photo and the name just says ex-wife really yes and she knows it um that is okay so so when you have a breakup or you you guys go through a split are you supposed to uh change it uh if you had fun things put in there like you know now it i feel like my iphone uh contacts changed by the people that have them have you noticed that yeah like people will change their own yes and the photo and stuff because that would actually be the fun thing to do if you are somebody that really wants to mess with somebody like if shannon wants to mess like with her ex she could actually change

00:24:10 - 00:24:17 | Speaker 2:

her contact in the phone shanny then everybody gets it though right you know how much i hate

00:24:17 - 00:24:24 | Speaker 1:

shanny by the way i know it could be uh you know whatever pet names but if but that to me him him

00:24:24 - 00:24:31 | Speaker 2:

still having zacky in there is like somebody having like baby doll or something right whatever

00:24:31 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 1:

the pet name here's the uh here's the question then 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is our telephone number do you have to change that number that's in the phone and you have to get rid of like pet names and things like that that you have if you guys go through a breakup and uh does anybody else is there anybody else that has like uh i don't know i just did this bro what'd you do bro Listen, I'm a firm believer, and I said it before, and I'm going to continue to say it when it's relevant.

00:25:00 - 00:25:25 | Speaker 6:

When you are in a relationship with someone, they get certain access to you. And when you're no longer in that relationship, you no longer get that access. So the name, yes, the name changes. The photo, I ain't really, I'm not really doing it all day. You're not in my top eight anymore or six or whatever that baby is and I am. Yes, you're not pinned. Really? For what? You took them out of the favorites there at the beginning? Yeah, the favorites are there because I communicated them.

00:25:25 - 00:25:29 | Speaker 5:

Did you unpin them too? Unpin them. You unpin Cherelle. Yes. You are such a dick.

00:25:29 - 00:25:37 | Speaker 3:

See, my pinned people are not my favorite people. They're just the people that I either need to or have to communicate with. Correct. I think they've got to be your favorites.

00:25:37 - 00:25:40 | Speaker 6:

My pinned people are the conversations that I have most frequently.

00:25:40 - 00:25:41 | Speaker 3:

That's what I mean.

00:25:41 - 00:25:43 | Speaker 6:

Oh, you said favorite people.

00:25:43 - 00:25:49 | Speaker 3:

No, I said they are not necessarily my favorite people. They're the people I just need to communicate with the most. Mine are a lot of work ones.

00:25:49 - 00:26:05 | Speaker 5:

I don't talk to, this sounds really bad, I don't talk to a couple of my kids very often. But I am one of those dads that has abandoned them. But I talk to, like, you guys more than I talk to, like, Jacob, my son Jacob, or you and Luke.

00:26:05 - 00:26:18 | Speaker 1:

I didn't want this to sound bad, but I actually have your son Joe pinned in my thing. But I talk to him almost every day communicating about a show. It's just convenient that it's right there. Right, right, right. Not that I love him or hate him. It's just we talk all the time. Yeah.

00:26:18 - 00:26:19 | Speaker 6:

Very safe.

00:26:20 - 00:26:30 | Speaker 5:

844 Mojo Live. Let's go to Shelby here. What's up, Shelby? How you doing? I'm doing good. How are you? Good. What's going on? How are you this morning?

00:26:31 - 00:26:33 | Speaker 10:

I'm doing good. I'm on my way to work.

00:26:33 - 00:26:39 | Speaker 5:

So do you change the contacts like after you go through either a breakup or stop talking to people?

00:26:40 - 00:26:55 | Speaker 10:

Well, I've been married forever, but I don't even change contacts after you get married. I have so many people on my phone that it's still their maiden name. It's just too much work to go back in and change it. So I will forever know your maiden name because I'm not going to change it to my phone.

00:26:55 - 00:27:04 | Speaker 5:

I like that. That's actually an interesting one, too. Like when somebody does, you know, go and get married, do you change those names up? What's up, Charlie? How you doing?

00:27:06 - 00:27:07 | Speaker 9:

I am doing fine.

00:27:08 - 00:27:10 | Speaker 5:

Charlie, did you do some changing?

00:27:11 - 00:27:20 | Speaker 9:

Yes, I did. His name was Juan, and I used to have him saved in my phone as Juan and only. And when we broke up, I saved it to Juan Selfish Brick.

00:27:22 - 00:27:25 | Speaker 10:

It could be my favorite call.

00:27:28 - 00:27:34 | Speaker 5:

I hope Juan Selfish Prick is hearing that this morning. Joshua, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

00:27:35 - 00:27:46 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, good morning. My ex-wife did me wrong, so I didn't think her name deserved to be in my phone, so I put it in there as Michael's mom, the name of my son.

00:27:46 - 00:28:18 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that's interesting. Wow. I bet you that's common, though. I bet you there's a lot of people that do that. In there. Yeah. It hurts your heart when you hear it, but it's something that's true, right? I mean, especially if you guys don't have a good relationship. Yeah, it's pretty rough. All right. Well, thank you for the call, buddy. I'll talk to you later. Well, actually, I won't. I don't know. I might talk to Michael's mom sooner, but I don't know you. Voice disguise this next one here. What's going on, Initial N?

00:28:18 - 00:28:25 | Speaker 8:

Um, my fiance has an ex-wife and in his phone, her name is Voldemort.

00:28:30 - 00:28:33 | Speaker 5:

Did you notice that right away or did he share that with you?

00:28:34 - 00:28:39 | Speaker 7:

Oh, he shared it with me and, um, he changed it to she who must not be named.

00:28:40 - 00:29:10 | Speaker 5:

Do you worry ever when you guys, or if you guys, God forbid, break up that he'll change your name and do you think that you have a name that he would pick out for you? no she's like the devil okay so she's the devil it has nothing to do you're not going to be the devil to him you're are you're his uh his angel yeah all right well thank you for the call i appreciate it i want i always love when people voice guys because i want to know what it is but it's probably because valdemore is a listener of the mojo in the morning show somehow it's mojo in

00:29:10 - 00:29:17 | Speaker 2:

I knew you would know that one. That's the only question that Diana missed. All right, she's going to have to miss a couple of these, Diana, to give you a chance. Question number two, speaking of the Oscars, Demi Moore is said to be devastated over her loss. Who is Demi's A-list actor ex-husband that she shares three daughters with?

Yep. Four to three. And a perfect score when you get this one. Everyone's talking about Lizzo's dramatic weight loss. True or false, Lizzo is a Detroit native. Three seconds.

00:33:30 - 00:33:30 | Speaker 2:

True.

00:33:30 - 00:33:31 | Speaker 1:

00:33:31 - 00:33:35 | Speaker 2:

00:33:35 - 00:33:37 | Speaker 1:

Congratulations, Erica.

00:33:37 - 00:33:42 | Speaker 2:

All I do is win. My mom told me if I won, I had to say Jordan game six.

00:33:43 - 00:33:44 | Speaker 1:

There you go.

00:33:44 - 00:33:45 | Speaker 2:

Jordan game six. There you go.

00:33:45 - 00:34:10 | Speaker 1:

That was great. What a reference. Congratulations to Diana for getting four out of five, just like yesterday. It's tough to see you guys go. We're going to set you up with a parting gift. We got a nice meal for you at Bar Verona. Very good place. Go get some good food there, okay? They got one of the best Italian steaks ever. Have a great day. You got a busy one, I'm sure, with all those different jobs and responsibilities, Diana.

00:34:12 - 00:34:14 | Speaker 2:

You guys have a good day, okay?

00:34:14 - 00:34:17 | Speaker 1:

We appreciate you so much. Thanks for listening. Erica, see you tomorrow.

00:34:17 - 00:34:19 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the mornings, 5 at 6.55.

00:34:20 - 00:34:39 | Speaker 1:

Don't give me a legal ID, please. Actually, no, don't give me the legal ID yet. Let me grab a call here real quick on the last topic that Shannon brought up about her friend still having his ex's name in the phone under Zachy, which I'm changing our Zachs to. Gail, what's up? Hi.

00:34:40 - 00:34:56 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. So I just wanted to add on to changing people's names in their phone. It's not a significant other. It's not even an adult. It's my teenage son. He likes to cause problems sometimes. So I changed his name as I Should Have Followed You.

00:34:57 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

00:35:00 - 00:35:12 | Speaker 7:

All right. Good morning. Does he have any siblings? No. I have four boys, of course.

00:35:13 - 00:35:15 | Speaker 6:

Gail, where are you from, Gail?

00:35:16 - 00:35:18 | Speaker 4:

I'm from Battle Creek.

00:35:18 - 00:35:24 | Speaker 6:

By the way, let me just say this to you. They go through those teenage years, but you then grow to love them all over again right afterwards.

00:35:25 - 00:35:38 | Speaker 5:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Mesquite and Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo, three great stations, one stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning, live.

00:35:40 - 00:35:54 | Speaker 6:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. Megan's, like, frustrated. I could see while we were just doing the last call that the frustration was ringing on your face. What happened with your DoorDash? What's going on here?

00:35:54 - 00:36:24 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. This, I swear to God, I am so sick of DoorDash. And if you're a DoorDash driver, I don't know if I blame you or not. I don't know at this point, but I only DoorDash at work. And I only DoorDash in emergency situations. And today is one of those situations where I need coffee, right? And we placed an order for the show. I texted everybody. I said, what do you want? And placed an order. And only half of the coffees arrived.

00:36:24 - 00:36:30 | Speaker 2:

And I literally just texted Megan and said, this order cannot come fast enough. Guess whose order didn't come? Ah!

00:36:30 - 00:36:30 | Unknown:

Ah!

00:36:31 - 00:36:32 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so.

00:36:32 - 00:36:33 | Speaker 5:

Whose? Yours?

00:36:33 - 00:36:37 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yours? I'm one of them that didn't come. Oh. I'm pissed.

00:36:37 - 00:37:04 | Speaker 1:

Because the first thing I did was when that bag arrived, I went, this isn't enough. This is not big enough for the amount of coffees that we ordered. This can't be right. And if you're the driver, you saw the order. You knew that bag wasn't big enough. why are we not asking questions here and to the place i ordered from if you're going to put things in multiple bags why are we not labeling zero or one of two and two of two so that they grab

00:37:04 - 00:37:11 | Speaker 6:

all of the bags where was the door dash from starbucks oh so is that coffee huh yes that's

00:37:11 - 00:37:40 | Speaker 1:

what we need coffee that's all we door dash around here and i'm super frustrated because the app is only letting me get a refund i cannot send the driver back to go get the other coffees so now i either need to get the refunds and reorder and let's be honest we ordered when the show started at six so an hour i have to wait an hour and pay another delivery fee and tip another driver so i'm losing money or i can't get my order and we're all screwed this is i'm so aggravated right

00:37:40 - 00:37:45 | Speaker 6:

now as my mom used to always say first world problems actually my mom never said that i said

00:37:45 - 00:37:58 | Speaker 1:

no you're right it is first world problems but at the end of the day why am i waiting now another hour and paying a delivery fee and paying a tip for something somebody else messed up no i get it

00:37:58 - 00:38:03 | Speaker 7:

i get it it sucks if i'm a driver i'm for sure not going back drivers be going back you know

00:38:03 - 00:38:08 | Speaker 6:

what it was he probably had a second bag or something he didn't grab it do you know what

00:38:08 - 00:38:13 | Speaker 3:

it was he's probably enjoying my latte with one pump of sugar-free vanilla and one pump of caramel

00:38:13 - 00:38:21 | Speaker 6:

extra hot by the way real quick are we videotaping this because i actually had lydia go pick one up for me. Oh, don't rub it in.

00:38:21 - 00:38:23 | Speaker 3:

You got flowers today. Have a

00:38:23 - 00:38:31 | Speaker 6:

great day. Look at the little flowers. This is from the I-94 and Hall Road Macomb Starbucks.

00:38:32 - 00:38:34 | Speaker 3:

That is a great Starbucks location, by the way.

00:38:34 - 00:38:35 | Speaker 6:

Love you guys.

00:38:36 - 00:38:40 | Speaker 7:

Just in case we have a listener out there who wants to assist Megan, what was your

00:38:40 - 00:38:49 | Speaker 1:

order? Oh, no. I don't want anybody dropping off more coffee. Why? You don't trust me? What do you get, Shannon? Extra hot? Latte?

00:38:50 - 00:38:57 | Speaker 7:

if somebody listen i'm gonna try this matcha lifestyle wait you weren't even in the order

00:38:57 - 00:39:22 | Speaker 6:

i wasn't but we're here now all right so here's here's the thing can i be quite honest with you here's here's the thing when this happens it is incredibly frustrating especially if you it's dinner and you're hungry and i always end up just saying the you know door dash here you go and they refund me the money but you're right it doesn't make up for the fact that you don't have whatever you need and if you do it all over again now you got to pay double because you got to pay the

00:39:22 - 00:39:44 | Speaker 4:

delivery charge and they don't take that off yes tara what's up hey what's up guys uh first time yes what's going on so uh just a real quick question first thing that popped into my head i hate doordash why aren't you guys getting some interns out there

00:39:44 - 00:39:54 | Speaker 3:

that's funny we haven't had interns in about five years yeah those went away those went away with

00:39:54 - 00:40:00 | Speaker 4:

i bet they'd come back i'm 43 i have three children at home i can't

00:40:00 - 00:40:02 | Speaker 7:

I can't do it, guys. But listen, I'm going to go ahead and put it out there right now.

00:40:02 - 00:40:03 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:40:03 - 00:40:08 | Speaker 7:

Anybody in their 20s maybe want to volunteer a couple hours in the morning to get Mojo his coffee.

00:40:08 - 00:40:09 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that would be wonderful.

00:40:10 - 00:40:13 | Speaker 7:

Pay a lot less than DoorDash. Exactly.

00:40:13 - 00:40:18 | Speaker 3:

I would give you every bit of nothing we get around here.

00:40:18 - 00:40:20 | Speaker 1:

We're actually not allowed to have interns.

00:40:20 - 00:40:24 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, they won't even let us have. Like truly the company won't let us have interns. Not allowed. They got to bring it back.

00:40:24 - 00:40:24 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:40:25 - 00:40:38 | Speaker 3:

That's one thing that I really do think if broadcasting wants to continue, they got you know reinvigorate the uh the youths the youths sophia hello hey how's it going first time long

00:40:38 - 00:41:00 | Speaker 7:

um so i'm actually a door dash driver and that is a hundred percent the dasher's fault so when we get the orders we can tell how many drinks are in them and they specifically will tell us how many drinks because it's something that the dashers forget all the time okay i do

00:41:00 - 00:41:12 | Speaker 3:

like i will say this to you i do like how the uh the dashers the door dashers um will take a picture and send me the picture so that kind of makes me feel good when they do that yeah but they take a

00:41:12 - 00:41:16 | Speaker 4:

picture of the bag that it comes in that you can't see how many drinks are in it how is that helpful

00:41:16 - 00:41:21 | Speaker 3:

i know but they they show at least that it's one bag because you know that there's probably two

00:41:21 - 00:41:43 | Speaker 4:

bags if they're missing on the deal when was the last time you got a picture of the actual location and not just like a handle or a zoomed in picture of the bag itself because i can i wonder if i can still pull up the picture of my door dash order you can't even see the size of the bag like you can't justify how big it is i do always get my full like picture there's my there's my guy last

00:41:43 - 00:41:58 | Speaker 3:

night he's got beagle laura sitting on his front passenger seat and he even told me when he pulled up and gave it to me that he put the seat warmer on to keep it warm. How did you pull that up? It's on the phone number from, I knew last night that I had it, it's

00:41:58 - 00:42:00 | Speaker 1:

text message. My favorite is when I

00:42:00 - 00:42:02 | Speaker 3:

get the delivery. 201-462

00:42:02 - 00:42:11 | Speaker 1:

And I intercept it, because normally I just say leave it on the porch, like at home. But when I go outside and grab it, and they're like, well, I have to take a picture, and they take a picture of me holding it.

00:42:12 - 00:42:29 | Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, that's the best. I sent you guys the Indian food guy, didn't I? That was one of my favorites, was the door the the guy uh the they took a picture of the indian food guy holding it at the taste of punjab why do they got to take your picture and then they want because they just have to prove

00:42:29 - 00:42:38 | Speaker 1:

that it got delivered and normally i just have them leave it but sometimes i'll see it and then go open the door and you know and they're like well we still have to take the picture so i just

00:42:38 - 00:42:40 | Speaker 3:

Noah, what's going on?

00:42:41 - 00:42:55 | Speaker 2:

I door dashed when I was in grad school. And every single time I get an order that's incorrect, I think to myself, you know, it really is not that hard. So most of the time, people just aren't asking questions or they don't care.

00:42:55 - 00:42:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:42:56 - 00:43:08 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Do you, when you were door dashing, what rating do you have? Because I want to know if there's anybody that's ever had a one-star rating or the lowest score rating on the deal.

00:43:09 - 00:43:19 | Speaker 2:

There's so many things that go into it. I just remember, like, I would decline orders that had me driving, like, 10 miles for $2, and that would bring my rating down.

00:43:19 - 00:43:30 | Speaker 4:

Well, that's the other thing. When I think about how much money I spent for these four coffees and the fact that only two of them showed up, I'm infuriated. Like, it was close to $60.

00:43:30 - 00:43:49 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I hate, by the way, when you order expensive stuff, too, they give you a percentage. and you look at the percent and it's like why am I for you know a couple of meals having to pay 20 percent on the bill because the bill is just more expensive so I always adjust that tip what's

00:43:49 - 00:44:13 | Speaker 5:

going on Jamie hi this just happened to me Megan it was so annoying I picked up my door dash order the bag was so light and I was like this can't be everything my girlfriend and I were splitting a meal from steak and shake and they left out like half the order of the fries so we had like one sandwich and that was it no on the bag if the bag wasn't even sealed you guys could open it and just

00:44:13 - 00:44:27 | Speaker 3:

look did you feel like you were on the show the walking dead and you were all going to eat each other because of how it was yeah basically i there's nothing worse than that and you guys are all trying to like live off of here i'll split it with you no you got more than i did

00:44:27 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 6:

you have rationing it what's up kay hello hi hi um megan i will go get your door dash for you if you need me to oh sweetheart you are i am a dasher and i think i'm the exception because i always check the orders and those bags are mostly seals so we can't really look inside so we have to take we we will i confirm i always check hey is everything in here and then now you do have to take a picture and you're supposed

00:45:00 - 00:45:37 | Speaker 2:

to take a picture of the whole bag or the whole order and then i always communicate some people don't like to but i communicate with every single customer and i have paused my delivery and gone back to the store to make things correct but that's just me and i always use hot bags i always use cold for the ice cream and the shakes and everything like that i have a good dash i am You know, I get zero tips a lot of the times, but that's just how people are. But I just want my food like I would want it. So that's how I deliver it to my customers.

00:45:37 - 00:45:40 | Speaker 4:

You're an American hero. I'm telling you.

00:45:41 - 00:45:52 | Speaker 2:

But I've even spilled coffee and paused my orders and gone back, bought the coffee myself from Starbucks for my customer because it was my fault. It fell over. It wasn't hers.

00:45:52 - 00:46:08 | Speaker 4:

If you come down to the studios today, we're going to do a K-FundMe. We're going to all give you money that people don't give you. We did this one time. We sponsored one DoorDasher that didn't get any money. And I remember one time we ended up raising him a couple hundred bucks. It was actually kind of cool.

00:46:08 - 00:46:13 | Speaker 2:

I believe in karma, so I look at, hey, my kids are healthy and happy and safe.

00:46:13 - 00:46:17 | Speaker 4:

That's great. Where are you DoorDashing? What area of our listening area?

00:46:17 - 00:46:19 | Speaker 2:

Macomb County, Utica area.

00:46:19 - 00:46:24 | Speaker 4:

All the best people on the east side of Detroit. We love you. Thank you for listening.

00:46:25 - 00:46:29 | Speaker 2:

Hey, do you want a coffee, though, Megan? Megan, I love you. You're so sweet. I can drive down there.

00:46:30 - 00:46:33 | Speaker 4:

But if she wants to meet you, maybe, would you like, have you ever met Megan?

00:46:34 - 00:46:35 | Speaker 2:

No.

00:46:35 - 00:46:47 | Speaker 4:

Hold on. I would love to. Hold on one second. I'll put you on with Lydia here. Lydia, let's do it. I would like a steak, preferably a New York strip medium, baked potato, sour cream, butter, chives.

00:46:48 - 00:46:57 | Speaker 1:

Where from? Everyone is good at sneaking around. We're about to prove it. Another world-famous War of the Roses happens at 7.40 on Mojo in the Morning.

00:46:57 - 00:47:01 | Speaker 4:

I think I love you, Kay. I love Kay Fun to me. Kay Fun to me.

00:47:01 - 00:47:03 | Speaker 5:

That's such a great name.

00:47:04 - 00:49:01 | Speaker 4:

All right, it's Mojo in the Morning. Chelsea and I had, like, the weirdest thing happen to us. And let me ask you guys this question. Have you ever been on a date? You're on, like, a date with somebody you met on Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, wherever you're dating. And you're there at the restaurant, and you notice that somebody at the restaurant is somebody you know. we were out with our friend and I won't say his name because I don't want to embarrass him because I don't think his daughter knew this and while we're sitting there he literally says to Chelsea and I as we're eating he goes oh my god don't look over to your right but my daughter is here with a date the dad was on the date with the daughter basically because he was out with us but had no idea that his daughter chose the same restaurant that he was eating with us his daughter's probably 20s i don't know mid-20s or something like that and his daughter was with a guy that he i said do you know the guy and he goes i don't know he goes i don't but i know she's dating she's on you know what he says one of the apps uh and uh it was kind of funny it was actually interesting because i'm sitting there the whole time like giving them date updates i'm like here's our second date update right now did she see him she didn't see him at all in the way that the restaurant was and i told you off the air what the restaurant was the way that the restaurant was there's two different areas you can eat in one of the areas you're kind of blocked by a wall and so we're sitting in the booth in this one but we're looking out at the table and they're like having a good time like i'm like giving i literally i'm like giving a little communique to the dad about how things are going how things are going and um the worst part was he couldn't get up to go to the bathroom at all during the entire time and he had to go to the bathroom so bad so the whole time he's like fidgeting because he doesn't want to get up and go and then have her recognize and he doesn't his biggest thing he said was i don't think she would mind but he didn't want to embarrass her while she was out with this guy

00:49:01 - 00:49:10 | Speaker 5:

plus i feel like you well and you would act different i would act a little bit different if i knew my dad was or maybe not my dad but if i knew that somebody like if it was one of you guys there, right?

00:49:11 - 00:49:47 | Speaker 3:

I remember one time I took this chick to the movies. We walk in the movies. We was going to see that Denzel Washington Roman movie where he was like a lawyer or something like that. We walk in the theater. As soon as we shut out, she was like, oh my God. I'm like, what? My dad is three rows. No, the same thing. I swear to God. I was like, oh, bet. We gotta meet him. I turned around. He was all creepy waving like she was so embarrassed what so what did you guys oh after it i'm all about were you a gentleman

00:49:47 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 4:

like were you like people hello sir families love me i'm telling you families love me uh that's awesome man that is so cool uh 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 if you've ever

00:50:00 - 00:50:09 | Speaker 5:

been on a date and when you're on the date recognized somebody that was there with at that moment who was the person because I want to know if there's anybody that has even more embarrassing

00:50:09 - 00:50:59 | Speaker 2:

like than their parents being there okay so I've got one when I when Wes and I had first started dating we had maybe been dating a couple of months and we were sitting at the bar of our restaurant and my ex-husband walked in on a date oh no and that I mean talk about uncomfortable and awkward and so he came over to say hi and I said here's the deal we will be done in about 25 minutes so if you guys want to go get a drink and come back then you can have the restaurant to yourselves and we're going somewhere else to have a drink after this anyway and was everybody good with it and that's exactly I think what happened oh that's cool do you like the fact that he came over and spoke oh for sure but I I it would I I don't know if I would have loved if we were both eating dinner on a date in the restaurant at the same time. That would have been super awkward, right? Really?

00:50:59 - 00:51:00 | Speaker 4:

It would have been the only thing I focused on.

00:51:01 - 00:51:05 | Speaker 2:

At that point when we were both just starting to date, yeah.

00:51:05 - 00:51:07 | Speaker 5:

What if he paid for your meal?

00:51:08 - 00:51:10 | Speaker 2:

That still wouldn't. No.

00:51:10 - 00:51:15 | Speaker 5:

No, I'm saying, but would that not be a thing? That would be one of those ones where it's kind of like a-

00:51:15 - 00:51:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh, and then left?

00:51:16 - 00:51:18 | Speaker 5:

No, like a slam. That's what I'm saying.

00:51:18 - 00:51:20 | Speaker 6:

If I'm West, I would have been pissed.

00:51:20 - 00:51:24 | Speaker 5:

Or sends over a bottle of wine or something. Hey, I'd like to send over drinks to you, you guys.

00:51:24 - 00:51:25 | Speaker 6:

I would have had to smash you that night.

00:51:25 - 00:51:25 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:51:26 - 00:51:29 | Speaker 6:

You know about the flex on us like that.

00:51:29 - 00:51:35 | Speaker 5:

That's a good question. Ask that question. Did Wes get to smash you that night? Was there any smashing going on?

00:51:35 - 00:51:45 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I'm sure there was. I can't remember what point in our relationship was. I made him wait up the line. I made him wait a long while.

00:51:46 - 00:52:12 | Speaker 5:

All right, hold on a second. Text here right now. 419 says, my dad was on our date, too. My dad was actually on a date with a girl while I was on a date with a girl, and we both were at the same restaurant. His date seemed to go way better than my date because the girl actually made me pay the bill. Amanda, what's going on? Hi. Who was there when you went on a date? Who was the person in the restaurant?

00:52:13 - 00:52:18 | Speaker 3:

So it was to the movies. It was me and my husband's first date, and we ran into my brother.

00:52:19 - 00:52:23 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no. Who was he with? Was he with buddies, or who was he with?

00:52:24 - 00:52:41 | Speaker 3:

So he was with his girlfriend, but it's funny because he came up to us, and he's, like, 5'2", and my husband's really tall. And he was, like, puffing out his chest, and he was, like, nice to meet you. You better not mess with my sister. And my husband's, like, made fun of me for it, like, the entire time.

00:52:41 - 00:53:25 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. You know what? That's one of those ones where you can tell you're not Chaldean because if you were Chaldean, which is what Lydia and Bianca are, or the Iraqi Catholics, to explain to those that don't know what a Chaldean is, their brothers are so overly protective. It would be like the brother walking up going, you know, what's up, bro? You know, what's happening? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Text her here, 95500. Went on a date, had my ex show up. Oh, my God, so another very similar situation where the ex is there. Oh, my God, this is a good one. I went on a date, my first since divorcing, and our babysitter took our kids to the same movie that we went to go see.

00:53:26 - 00:53:26 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's funny.

00:53:26 - 00:53:32 | Speaker 5:

That would be a tough one. What's going on, Mojo in the Morning? Initial A, being voice disguised. Hi.

00:53:33 - 00:53:33 | Unknown:

Hi.

00:53:34 - 00:53:40 | Speaker 5:

You're voice disguised. It makes you sound cuter when you're voice disguised like this. Who was there on the date?

00:53:40 - 00:53:58 | Speaker 1:

So me and my boyfriend were on a date, and lo and behold, his brother walks in with this girl who wasn't his wife, and he even walked up to our table and was like, this is my brother and sister-in-law, and I was like, I was panicking. I was like, oh my God.

00:53:58 - 00:54:00 | Speaker 5:

What was he doing? Was he cheating on his wife?

00:54:01 - 00:54:02 | Speaker 1:

Yes, constantly.

00:54:03 - 00:54:05 | Speaker 5:

And so did you guys keep the secret?

00:54:05 - 00:54:12 | Speaker 1:

it no i have to tell his mom because if i didn't i would have been like in deeper trouble than i

00:54:12 - 00:54:17 | Speaker 5:

already was being there oh yeah his mom probably beat his ass for that one julie what's up it's

00:54:17 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 4:

mojo in the morning hi good morning morning so my husband and i were going through our marriage classes before we got married and we'd finished the class went out uh to see the movie basic instinct a couple of days later and when we were walking in i looked at who was sitting around us and our priest and i'm assuming another priest were five rows back why was your priest there while we were watching basic he was seeing basic instinct yeah but like that's worse on your priest than on you no priests aren't allowed to watch our movies that's not allowed not allowed

00:55:00 - 00:55:10 | Speaker 3:

It was a little creepy because it was like the whole movie. I kept just thinking he's behind us. Yeah. Isn't Basic Instinct the movie? That's not cool.

00:55:10 - 00:55:14 | Speaker 2:

Is Basic Instinct the movie with Sharon Stone where she shows her like.

00:55:15 - 00:55:15 | Speaker 3:

Her lady bits.

00:55:16 - 00:55:20 | Speaker 2:

Her lady bits. Yeah. Did the priest have a smile on his face?

00:55:20 - 00:55:24 | Speaker 3:

It was very creepy. Priests aren't allowed to see that. With your priest behind you.

00:55:24 - 00:55:26 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Now they can see it. They just can't marry it.

00:55:26 - 00:55:29 | Speaker 3:

They're not even allowed to look at diagrams drawn in books. They're not allowed.

00:55:30 - 00:55:33 | Speaker 2:

Dennis, who was out on a date when you went on a date?

00:55:34 - 00:55:46 | Speaker 4:

I went out to take my girlfriend to a nice place down in Plymouth, downtown. And we get there and we sit down. And all of a sudden, my ex walks up and she's our waitress.

00:55:47 - 00:55:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's even worse. She's serving you food. How did that go over?

00:55:52 - 00:56:02 | Speaker 5:

It was weird because, you know, my girlfriend knew about the whole situation. And she was the only girl I messed with in high school. So it was really, really awkward the whole entire time.

00:56:02 - 00:56:03 | Speaker 2:

Do you think she spit in your food?

00:56:05 - 00:56:06 | Speaker 5:

I really hope not.

00:56:07 - 00:56:17 | Speaker 2:

That's amazing. Initial M, voice disguised. Hi, what's going on? We're talking about how when you go on a date, it's always embarrassing if you know somebody that's there. What happened?

00:56:22 - 00:56:40 | Speaker 1:

Something that I thought would never happen. So we went on a date, my husband and I, and we were trying to find a third, somebody to swing with one time, and we decided we would take him on a date to meet him. Look over the table, and there is my cousin and her entire family.

00:56:42 - 00:56:47 | Speaker 2:

And it's you, your husband, and this woman, I'm assuming, or guy?

00:56:47 - 00:56:51 | Speaker 1:

It was a woman, and we just introduced her as a friend.

00:56:52 - 00:56:53 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

00:56:54 - 00:57:01 | Speaker 1:

trying not to be as suspicious as i could be it could not have been more awkward and did you guys

00:57:01 - 00:57:26 | Speaker 2:

end up completing the swing oh for sure oh my did your cousin ever bring it up to you after that no she didn't even suspect anything oh my god that is crazy that that's an interesting process altogether you know we were talking about that when people ask you to swing but i always wonder Like, what do you guys do? So you have to, like, interview them, and that's kind of what you did.

00:57:27 - 00:57:34 | Speaker 1:

It was a once deal. We weren't ever going to do it again. It was something we just wanted to try.

00:57:34 - 00:57:35 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:57:35 - 00:57:39 | Speaker 1:

We were high school sweethearts, and that was something that neither of us got to experience.

00:57:39 - 00:57:40 | Speaker 2:

Sure.

00:57:40 - 00:57:43 | Speaker 1:

So this was, it was a dating process.

00:57:43 - 00:57:50 | Speaker 2:

There you go. A little spice in the relationship. Let me grab one last one here. Sasha, you there? Hi.

00:57:50 - 00:57:51 | Speaker 3:

Hi. How are you?

00:57:52 - 00:57:56 | Speaker 2:

Good. Sasha, you went on a date and had a very embarrassing thing happen to you.

00:57:57 - 00:58:09 | Speaker 3:

Yes. So we're sitting at the bar, and two of the dates that I went on a week before were on literally opposite sides of the bar. They just looked at me, and I'm like, oh, my God, I got to get out of here.

00:58:09 - 00:58:12 | Speaker 2:

Why do you choose the same place that you take all these dates to?

00:58:12 - 00:58:16 | Speaker 3:

No, it wasn't. No, it wasn't. It was absolutely a completely different bar.

00:58:16 - 00:58:24 | Speaker 2:

Just completely different. Just a green space. Oh, but it's just the same area of town. You need to go to different areas of town. That's amazing, though. Three dates in one.

00:58:24 - 00:58:25 | Speaker 3:

Three dates in one.

00:58:26 - 00:58:35 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. I said I was going to grab one last one with you, Sasha, but Vinny then called up out of the blue. Vinny, are you there? Yes, sir.

00:58:35 - 00:58:36 | Speaker 6:

What's up?

00:58:36 - 00:58:40 | Speaker 2:

Vinny, you ran into your ex on a date, and what happened?

00:58:43 - 00:58:44 | Speaker 6:

She flapped my tires.

00:58:44 - 00:58:53 | Speaker 2:

So, she noticed that you were out on a date with a girl, and she went outside knowing what you drove?

00:58:53 - 00:58:54 | Speaker 6:

I was at the movies.

00:58:54 - 00:58:54 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:58:54 - 00:59:33 | Speaker 6:

What happened, I was at the movies with the Star Theater. You just had that valet, whatever. Oh, yeah. And then I went into the movies, and her sister was sitting behind me. And I was like, oh. I was like, hey, Danny. I was like, hey, hey, hey. And then next thing you know, we walked out and she was, we get my keys from the valet guy. He's like, hey, your tires are flat. And I turned around. Oh, my goodness. I turned around. My ex-girlfriend's right there. She's like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Who are you on a date with? Oh, crazy. Crazy as hell.

01:00:24 - 01:00:55 | Speaker 3:

sad news uh late last night dolly parton's husband a businessman by the name of carl dean passed away at the age of 82 they i just they were such a quiet couple very much out of the spotlight married for nearly 60 years and dolly has always told this story about how she didn't a boyfriend she met carl the day she moved to nashville which was her dream she was just 18

01:00:55 - 01:01:18 | Speaker 2:

years old well he was a homebody and that worked well for us he loved to go places if we were going to drive cross country or go where if we had a planned thing but boy he never could wait to get home he doesn't even like to go out to big dinners or anything like that so even on anniversaries and stuff like that we usually stay home make something special or go to mcdonald's or

01:01:18 - 01:01:30 | Speaker 3:

go somewhere we want to go yeah by the way he inspired this song um she said that she wrote this song about a very flirty bank teller who seemed to have an interest in her husband and

01:01:30 - 01:01:39 | Speaker 5:

apparently that bank teller's name was jolene and that rotten bitch she made a statement on social

01:01:39 - 01:01:48 | Speaker 3:

media yesterday and she just said carl and i spent many wonderful years together words can't do justice to the love we shared for 60 years thank you for your prayers and your sympathy married

01:01:48 - 01:01:53 | Speaker 4:

60 years there's only like five photos of them that are public just very quiet i think it's

01:01:53 - 01:02:35 | Speaker 5:

wonderful though that he let her just be in the spotlight and do her thing and he said that his true love was the fact that she got to do what she loved and he got to do what he loved and he never wanted to step into it it's wild and it's funny i was watching a news report that was done about his death they were saying the only thing that he really inspired for her other than that woman flirting with him in that song jolene came out remember when she did that hard rock album like a year or two years ago yeah he was a rock and roll fanatic he loved like metal music and hard rock and he and he told her that it would be awesome because she would get to work with some of the people that he was really passionate about musically and that's why she

01:02:35 - 01:02:59 | Speaker 3:

ended up doing it. What a story. I love that. That's great. After Millie Bobby Brown faced criticism accusing her of aging so badly and plastic surgery and getting a mommy makeover even though she's only 21 years old the Stranger Things star is now slamming all of these negative comments saying she won't apologize for simply growing up. I started in the industry when I was

01:02:59 - 01:03:32 | Speaker 1:

10 years old um i grew up in front of the world and for some reason people can't seem to grow up with me instead they act like i'm supposed to stay frozen in time like i should still look the way i did on stranger things season one and because i don't i'm now a target this isn't journalism this is bullying the fact that adult writers are spending their time dissecting my face my body my choices is disturbing is that a and the fact that some of these articles are written by women

01:03:32 - 01:03:44 | Speaker 5:

is that a sound of like one of those people things that people sleep with so there's a noisemaker in the background i don't know what that is or a c-pad machine is that or no it's like you know how people have like chelsea likes to sleep sometimes with the noisemakers white

01:03:44 - 01:04:21 | Speaker 3:

noise or do we have to send my air purifier maybe it's that we need mark mackovich to go over because i think she might have she might have a buzz in that line mark what's going on she also went through and cited multiple news articles that criticized her and were very specific pointing out different things you know what work she had done to her face she had worked under her body whatever um and she specifically called out the critics for tearing down women for clicks she wrote we always talk about supporting and uplifting young women but when the time comes it seems easier to tear them down i will not be shamed for how i look how i dress or how i present

01:04:21 - 01:04:25 | Speaker 4:

myself what if i just think you look good and i want to know so i can go to a plastic surgeon

01:04:25 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 3:

and ask for it i mean that lindsey lohan right right where'd you go what'd you do kendra hafany who was a contestant on the first season of diddy's vh1 show i want to work for diddy i don't know if any of you guys remember that show she is now accusing him of repeated sexual assault kendra said the multiple instances of sexual assault began back in 2007 after she was selected as a finalist for that show she was talking about one specific incident and it happened during an after party for an event she was given a drink that was obviously very obviously spiked

01:05:00 - 01:05:39 | Speaker 2:

something. She said she was ushered over to be by Diddy. Diddy pushed her head down, forced her to perform oral sex on him. She said she passed out after that. And when she woke back up, she was at the I want to work for Diddy cast house. He was just sitting at the end of the bed staring at her. She said later that day, she flew back to California with the rest of the cast. And she's now alleging that Diddy sexually assaulted her several more times. She is suing VH1 and bad boy entertainment and by the way i want to play this for you too while we're talking about diddy one of his lawyers speaking out about all of the allegations that he is facing this isn't the one

01:05:39 - 01:06:09 | Speaker 1:

that quit is it no you know there's no minors there's no celebrity sex tapes there's been a flurry of lawsuits in the past two days because of an expiring statute essentially which is why you've seen a lot of lawsuits in the past few days but it's incredible here what i'm witnessing which is that we're, at least I personally, like what people ask me about and come up to me about are a lot of allegations that just have no basis in reality whatsoever.

01:06:10 - 01:06:12 | Speaker 6:

Hmm. Hmm.

01:06:12 - 01:06:14 | Speaker 7:

That requires a hmm. Hmm.

01:06:15 - 01:06:22 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, for another hmm. You guys remember the name Dank DeMoss? We had her in studio a couple of weeks ago.

01:06:22 - 01:06:23 | Speaker 7:

I love this girl.

01:06:23 - 01:06:43 | Speaker 2:

The local rapper who is suing Lyft for refusing her a ride, The driver said that she was not going to fit into his vehicle. Well, I saw she is trending again. She is in the news again, this time for creating a very controversial OnlyFans page. A lot of people have their thoughts on it. I have not.

01:06:44 - 01:06:49 | Speaker 7:

She's hanging out on the couch I saw in the video or the post.

01:06:49 - 01:06:54 | Speaker 2:

But apparently the Internet has thoughts of her making money. Not yet, but I might.

01:06:55 - 01:07:14 | Speaker 7:

Maybe she's thinking that she's not going to win this Lyft lawsuit if she's jumping on OnlyFans right now. If I was her attorney, I'd keep her off OnlyFans. Because I think that she needs to stay clean of this. She needs to show that she's been hurt by this, what happened to Lyft. And I think if she does too much, it shows that she's just trying to reclaim fame.

01:07:14 - 01:07:17 | Speaker 4:

What does that have to do with whether or not this was breaking the law?

01:07:17 - 01:07:28 | Speaker 7:

I don't know. The Lyft situation. I just think that you just got to, you got to sometimes as an attorney, you got to make your client look even sadder with what's going on.

01:07:28 - 01:07:29 | Speaker 2:

Let her make money.

01:07:30 - 01:07:33 | Speaker 7:

No. Dank. That's sweet. Don't do it. Don't do it, Dank.

01:07:34 - 01:07:42 | Speaker 2:

Spread them, Dank. All right. For all of today's Dirty, catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

All right, giving away trips to Disney here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. Very excited about that. Giving you an opportunity to go to Disney World. And let me see who our winner is this hour. Michelle from Southfield is the winner. Hi, Michelle.

01:08:07 - 01:08:08 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Woo!

01:08:09 - 01:08:09 | Unknown:

Hey.

01:08:10 - 01:08:16 | Speaker 7:

Michelle. I always love this winner's music. Where do you want to go? Michelle, you want to go to Disney?

01:08:16 - 01:08:21 | Speaker 3:

Disney? Yes, my eight-year-old has been begging me. This would be so amazing.

01:08:22 - 01:08:30 | Speaker 7:

Man, what is it? When you're a kid, how do you know about Disney? Is it because you see the commercials? His friends. Oh, really? His friends keep coming back,

01:08:30 - 01:08:34 | Speaker 3:

and he's like, I want to go, and I feel so bad we haven't been able to. This would be so amazing.

01:08:34 - 01:08:47 | Speaker 7:

Well, this would be unbelievable, and we would love to be able to give that to you. So you're now qualified. You got a $50 Disney gift card. Congratulations, and you're qualified for the trip, the grand prize trip for four to Disney World. Oh, my God.

01:08:47 - 01:08:48 | Speaker 3:

Thank you so much.

01:08:48 - 01:08:51 | Speaker 7:

Oh, we love you. Hang on the phone for just one second. What's your son's name?

01:08:53 - 01:08:53 | Speaker 3:

Cameron.

01:08:53 - 01:08:56 | Speaker 7:

Cameron, we're crossing our fingers for you, my friend.

01:08:57 - 01:08:58 | Speaker 3:

Thank you.

01:08:58 - 01:08:59 | Speaker 7:

Hang on the phone for a second.

01:08:59 - 01:09:19 | Speaker 6:

If you think your spouse is cheating, text cheater to 95500. Hit that high note. And the Mojo in the Morning Show will do a War of the Roses on them.

01:09:20 - 01:09:37 | Speaker 7:

Thank you. Although I think the Disney people might say, that might not be a copywritten thing for you guys to be pulling off here. All right. We're going to get to War of the Roses here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. And I've got a lot of stuff coming up. We are doing also a big St. Patrick's Day party that I want to tell you about.

01:09:38 - 01:09:43 | Speaker 5:

Catching cheaters. I'm proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

01:09:44 - 01:09:52 | Speaker 7:

Destiny thinks that her husband is cheating with their realtor, the person that's helping you buy a house or sell your house.

01:09:53 - 01:09:56 | Speaker 1:

Helping us look for a house, our first house.

01:09:56 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 7:

And why do you think that he and her are cheating?

01:10:00 - 01:10:36 | Speaker 2:

cheating or why is he cheating? They're just way too flirty with each other. Like too flirty in front of you? Yeah, in front of me and they're not around me. He's going to see homes when I'm too busy or working and I don't even know if he's really looking at homes. How long have you been looking for a house and like are you in a rush to move? We're buying a house for the first time together so I mean, we're not in a rush, you know. So there's like no reason for him

01:10:36 - 01:10:39 | Speaker 4:

to be doing this without you. Yeah, he should be looking with you.

01:10:40 - 01:10:48 | Speaker 1:

I want to know what his excuse is that he goes to look at houses without you. Because that doesn't even make any sense. No,

01:10:48 - 01:10:54 | Speaker 4:

it doesn't. Do you say anything to him about it or you not even mention it to him? Like, why are you going to look at a home without me?

01:10:56 - 01:11:03 | Speaker 2:

No, I haven't yet. But I keep seeing this address on his phone in a search history to a house that we're not even looking at. So that's what concerns me.

01:11:04 - 01:11:13 | Speaker 4:

And you believe that he's going back to the same house or going to this particular home. And that's where they are with each other.

01:11:14 - 01:11:16 | Speaker 2:

I'm hoping not.

01:11:17 - 01:11:39 | Speaker 4:

But you're thinking that. Yeah. That would be interesting. Well, we're going to do this. We're going to offer him a dozen free roses and see where he's going to send them to in hopes that he is sending them, you know, to you and not to anybody else. I want you to mute your phone for us. Okay. How long have you guys been together real quick before you mute your phone?

01:11:40 - 01:11:44 | Speaker 2:

We've been together since college, so five years, a little over five years.

01:11:44 - 01:11:45 | Speaker 4:

Do y'all have children?

01:11:46 - 01:11:47 | Speaker 2:

No.

01:11:48 - 01:11:50 | Speaker 4:

All right, mute your phone, okay?

01:11:51 - 01:11:52 | Speaker 2:

Okay, thank you.

01:11:53 - 01:11:56 | Speaker 4:

All right, we're going to offer up the roses. We're hoping he sends them to destiny.

01:12:08 - 01:12:08 | Speaker 3:

Hello?

01:12:09 - 01:12:10 | Speaker 1:

Hi, is this Paul?

01:12:12 - 01:12:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, who's this?

01:12:14 - 01:12:36 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Paul, my name is Nicole, and I'm calling from an online floral company called rosesbloom.com with an offer for some free flowers. If you have like 30 seconds to answer some survey questions, we're going to give you a dozen long-stemmed red roses that can be shipped out today to the person of your choice anywhere in the country, completely free of charge to you. And we're just calling to see if you'd be interested in taking part in our free offer.

01:12:39 - 01:12:52 | Speaker 3:

No, no thanks, actually. Yeah, no, I don't really, I don't really do stuff like this often. If you wouldn't mind taking me off of your whatever list this is i don't even know how you got my number it's two questions and it's

01:12:52 - 01:13:00 | Speaker 1:

totally free like truly it'll take it'll take a minute and you get free flowers out of the deal if you have somebody that you'd want to send some flowers to for free today

01:13:00 - 01:13:06 | Speaker 3:

well i mean well i guess what are the what are the questions so the first question have you

01:13:06 - 01:13:43 | Speaker 1:

purchased flowers in the last six months no okay and do you plan on purchasing flowers in the next six months? No, I don't plan on it, no. Okay, so you're totally done with the survey, and now I can gift you that dozen long-stemmed red roses if you're interested. I just need to get some information about who you would want them sent to today, like name, telephone number, that sort of stuff. I'm not going to ask you for your credit card info, nothing like that. So you're already done with the survey part. You might as well get the flowers, right? All right, then, okay, then

01:13:43 - 01:13:47 | Speaker 3:

you guys like don't call back or there's i don't i'm not on some list where other people are gonna

01:13:47 - 01:14:03 | Speaker 1:

i can take your name off of our list if you'd like okay all right just hopefully you'll use this in the future when you order flowers okay we're rosesbloom.com okay all right yeah i'll do it this this time okay um a first and a last name of who you'd like to send some flowers to

01:14:06 - 01:14:11 | Speaker 3:

okay um maria you can send them to maria okay and the last name

01:14:13 - 01:14:18 | Speaker 1:

Okay, and her telephone number?

01:14:20 - 01:14:29 | Speaker 3:

Yep, hold on. 414-8.

01:14:31 - 01:14:34 | Speaker 1:

Okay, and what is Maria's relationship to you?

01:14:37 - 01:14:38 | Speaker 3:

She's a friend.

01:14:39 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 1:

Okay, and just confirming that Red Roses is okay? yeah that's that's okay okay paul um i'm gonna go ahead and record a voice memo with you and at rosesbloom.com instead of sending a paper card we do a voice memo so when the flowers get delivered maria will get a text message alerting her that she

01:15:00 - 01:15:22 | Speaker 3:

has a delivery and then she'll be able to play this voice memo we're about to record and know who they're from and hear the message that that you want to send to her does that make sense so i'm going to count you down and you just say whatever you would like in your message to maria and that's going to accompany the flowers okay all right three two one

01:15:22 - 01:15:36 | Speaker 5:

all right hey maria uh enjoy the flowers um thank you for your uh help with everything and all your hard work and enjoy

01:15:36 - 01:15:50 | Speaker 3:

okay and she'll recognize your voice to know who they're from yeah yeah she will okay paul i also have to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes. Are you okay with that?

01:15:55 - 01:15:59 | Speaker 5:

That's fine, I guess. Yeah, if you have to.

01:16:00 - 01:16:00 | Speaker 3:

Is it yes?

01:16:03 - 01:16:05 | Speaker 5:

You recorded it. Yeah, it's okay. Yeah.

01:16:06 - 01:16:06 | Unknown:

Okay.

01:16:07 - 01:17:16 | Speaker 4:

And Paul, I'm going to jump on real quick and we'll wrap up the call after I just tell you one last thing. And then we'll make sure you have your gift sent off Paul while we've been talking to you and you've been sending flowers off to Maria your wife Destiny has been listening in and just heard every word that you just said Paul your wife was a little suspicious of what's going on personally with you and wanted to see when you were going to send flowers to and you chose somebody other than her to send them to well okay are you okay with the fact that you sent flowers to somebody else and didn't send them to your wife you had a choice that you could send flowers to any person ever and you ended up sending them and the first woman that popped in your mind was a woman that's not your wife and actually is a woman that your wife is suspicious of?

01:17:20 - 01:17:36 | Speaker 5:

I mean, I'm, you know, I don't think it's... They were just like, thank you, flower. It wasn't like a big deal. It's a big deal to me.

01:17:37 - 01:17:48 | Speaker 4:

so paul you're trying to say to us that there's nothing going on between you and

01:17:48 - 01:18:04 | Speaker 5:

this maria girl yeah there's nothing going on it was a thank you flower i just thought of someone off the top of my head i did not expect it to send flowers to someone today it was a strange phone

01:18:04 - 01:18:11 | Speaker 2:

call paul why are you looking at houses with maria the realtor without your wife destiny

01:18:11 - 01:18:16 | Speaker 5:

well how do you know that

01:18:16 - 01:18:26 | Speaker 4:

he we know that because your wife told us that and that made her feel a little uncomfortable

01:18:26 - 01:18:35 | Speaker 5:

yeah well i wish that she would have a conversation with me about this because i I don't even know what's going on here.

01:18:38 - 01:19:02 | Speaker 4:

Why don't we let you guys have a conversation and we'll see what you guys come up with as to whether or not she believes that there's just you sending a thank you to somebody. All right. Hang on one second. Destiny, I'm going to let you talk to... The home of War of the Roses. I absolutely love it.

01:19:02 - 01:19:03 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning.

01:19:19 - 01:19:37 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning, War of the Roses. And Destiny thinking that her husband is cheating with their realtor. uh something interesting happened while the phone call was just made and you just heard that

01:19:37 - 01:19:44 | Speaker 1:

lydia what did you get mojo we just got a text message from someone who says they're the real

01:19:44 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 4:

estate agent so says that they're this woman that he just sent the flowers to this maria woman yeah she's a real estate agent for destiny and paul and what did so it's just a text uh hold on a second I'm looking back at the text messages here. Okay.

01:20:00 - 01:20:06 | Speaker 2:

Can you call them up and see if they'll go on the air with us? Because obviously they're willing to call themselves out by texting into us.

01:20:07 - 01:20:08 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'll give them a call right now.

01:20:08 - 01:21:01 | Speaker 2:

All right, give them a call. The interesting thing was listening to the War of the Roses. I mean, people make assumptions, obviously, off of listening to people's voices. and an assumption that was made that some people are wondering if he is gay or straight because they heard his voice. I didn't think that until I saw the text messages and then the text messages came through and thought to myself, okay, well, I don't know. I mean, you know, I'm not going to make the assumption. I would think that that would be something that, uh, that, uh, his wife, you know, might know, or, or if she suspected would bring up, but, um, like they, like, to me, the whole

01:21:01 - 01:21:06 | Speaker 4:

thing is random. What are you saying? Thank you for. She didn't find you the house. So what are you saying? Thank you for.

01:21:07 - 01:21:18 | Speaker 1:

I mean, I've had, I've had realtors where you look in for, I mean, they're taking a gamble by taking you out to these homes and hoping that you actually get one. So I've said, thank you. I've never sent flowers.

01:21:18 - 01:21:48 | Speaker 4:

But what I'm saying is, like, the realtor that helped me, you know, find the house that I am in now. I would send her flowers after everything was said and done, maybe. But when I was buying my house, I felt really bad that I was asking my realtor to do stuff on the weekends or last minute or late at night all the time. So it was like a, hey, thanks. Thanks for just helping through this whole process. It's an annoying job. From us. Yeah. In this case, wouldn't it be from, you know what I mean?

01:21:49 - 01:21:49 | Speaker 2:

Lydia, you got her?

01:21:50 - 01:21:51 | Speaker 4:

Not to be mean.

01:21:51 - 01:21:53 | Speaker 2:

Hold on, Lydia. Lydia, you got her?

01:21:53 - 01:21:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, she's on line eight.

01:21:54 - 01:21:57 | Speaker 2:

Okay, let me grab her first. Maria?

01:21:59 - 01:21:59 | Speaker 3:

Hello?

01:22:00 - 01:22:02 | Speaker 2:

Are you okay with being on the radio with us?

01:22:05 - 01:22:08 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I am. I guess so.

01:22:08 - 01:22:23 | Speaker 2:

So you're the person that the flowers were sent to or that were offered to be sent to. What are your thoughts after hearing the call that we made to Paul?

01:22:26 - 01:22:44 | Speaker 3:

I think it just must have been like as a thank you. I don't think it was anything else. I just think it was a thank you for helping them find their home. So nothing going on there? No, of course not. I'm professional, so no, there would not be anything going on there.

01:22:45 - 01:22:55 | Speaker 4:

Do you get the feeling that he is, like, trying to have there be something going on or that he's hitting on you or you're not getting that vibe at all?

01:22:56 - 01:23:09 | Speaker 3:

No, I don't think so. I just think that he's trying to be polite and say thank you. I don't think it's anything else.

01:23:11 - 01:23:15 | Speaker 2:

So no things have happened between the two of you guys?

01:23:17 - 01:23:21 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no, nothing has happened between us at all.

01:23:22 - 01:23:36 | Speaker 2:

Because we've mentioned that there have been situations where people have actually had relationships with, you know, their real estate agents, their people that are selling them homes, and that is not something that you have ever done?

01:23:38 - 01:23:49 | Speaker 3:

No, no, I would never do that. I'm a professional and I keep it professional when I'm doing these jobs and I would never would never do that.

01:23:49 - 01:24:19 | Speaker 4:

Is it normal that couples would you know that they're looking for a home, but then you're corresponding with just one of them to arrange like times to go see a particular house. But the other in this case, destiny is not on those conversations to even know what's going on. Because to me, even if I were looking at a house with my husband and I couldn't go, I'd still be on that correspondence, right? He might be the one to just go, but it sounds like she's completely in the dark here, which is what makes the whole thing very, very suspicious.

01:24:21 - 01:24:32 | Speaker 3:

Right. Well, I just think that people work differently. I don't think it's anything not normal. I think that some people like to do that and some people don't. There's really nothing going on at all.

01:24:32 - 01:24:37 | Speaker 2:

Are you in a relationship with anybody or what is your status, if you don't mind me asking?

01:24:37 - 01:24:45 | Speaker 3:

i am seeing people but i'm not in a relationship no so you're not married

01:24:45 - 01:24:52 | Speaker 2:

or dating no okay all right all right we'll appreciate you going on the air with us

01:24:52 - 01:24:55 | Speaker 3:

okay okay thank you bye

01:24:55 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 2:

uh there's another this morning

01:25:00 - 01:25:08 | Speaker 9:

uh manda what's up it's mojo in the morning hi hi good morning good morning um i was just

01:25:08 - 01:25:28 | Speaker 2:

thinking that when you guys called him and he had said it was just the first person he thought of shouldn't the first person you think of be your wife not yep your realtor agent even if you're corresponding a lot with them yeah i still feel like the first person for flowers would be your

01:25:28 - 01:25:41 | Speaker 9:

wife absolutely yeah no that's that's a dead giveaway that there's something going on uh haley what's up it's mojo in the morning hi hi how are you we're good haley what are your thoughts

01:25:41 - 01:25:54 | Speaker 6:

so i don't know if you guys heard paul say but when you asked him um or you had mentioned that he's going to see homes without his wife um he literally said how do you know that

01:25:54 - 01:26:03 | Speaker 9:

Well, he did say that because I think that he got caught off guard that we got all this information from his wife. What does that deal with anything?

01:26:04 - 01:26:14 | Speaker 6:

Well, he just admitted that he was going to see Holmes without her when she said originally that that was just her suspicion and she never had confirmed that with him or not.

01:26:14 - 01:26:26 | Speaker 9:

Oh, okay, okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Interesting. No, that's an interesting thing to listen, you know, close to these War of the Roses to see what kind of little nuggets they drop for you. What's up, Jennifer? Hi.

01:26:27 - 01:26:42 | Speaker 7:

Hi. First time, long time. Hey there. Hi, Jennifer. Hi, Jennifer. Hi, Jennifer. He started acting clueless. Like, though, what's going on? I think that's because he's busted.

01:26:43 - 01:26:50 | Speaker 9:

Yeah, he seemed like he was easy with his words and had no problem with it until we jumped on and started doing it. I get it. You got caught off guard.

01:26:50 - 01:26:53 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, and then he was clean. Yeah, then he started acting clueless.

01:26:54 - 01:26:54 | Speaker 9:

Yeah.

01:26:54 - 01:27:00 | Speaker 7:

How do you know this? And blah, blah, I started getting caught up with his words. I think he's guilty.

01:27:00 - 01:27:11 | Speaker 9:

Yeah, although I've got to be honest with you, if acting clueless means you're cheating, then bingo, bingo, here I am. Because I got clueless written right over here.

01:27:12 - 01:27:31 | Speaker 4:

uh what's up sean hi hey how you doing good what's going on yeah i i don't believe the realtor i i think she's trying to mess she's not trying to mess up her commission and and being the wife said it's an address that they keep meeting it i mean why y'all keep meeting at this certain

01:27:31 - 01:27:57 | Speaker 9:

address right well that is an interesting one you know that is one of those situations where I wonder if the realtors have, like, some kind of a law that they can't F the clients or something. You know what I mean? Like, I know you can't, like, screw them over, but isn't that weird? Like, what could happen if you're a real estate agent and you get caught having an affair with a married person? Does that look frowned upon? Could you lose your real estate license?

01:27:58 - 01:28:01 | Speaker 5:

I don't know if you lose your license, but other married couples.

01:28:01 - 01:28:08 | Speaker 4:

Probably going to get a bad reputation. Yeah, I don't think necessarily, like, lose her license. Because I'm saying she don't want to make a commission with them.

01:28:08 - 01:28:09 | Speaker 9:

I know.

01:28:09 - 01:28:18 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, she still wants them to find a house. She still wants her money. So, of course, she's not going to get on there. Yeah, I'm doing it to your husband. She's not going to get on there.

01:28:18 - 01:28:44 | Speaker 8:

I just think that this whole scenario is so glaringly obvious that something's off. Because when a couple is looking at houses, even if you both can't go to a showing or whatever, you at least know what's on the table. Do you know what I mean? you talk about this house and this house and this house okay i can't make this showing you go see if it's even us worth going like the whole thing that's weird seeing houses secretly is just such

01:28:44 - 01:29:18 | Speaker 5:

a dead giveaway to me d your thoughts yeah um i agree i think that um the realtor story is a just bs i think she probably heard the conversation this morning and um called in realizing it was about her and wanted to kind of smooth it over so she's not being drugged through the mud um you know business professionally or whatnot the fact that she just kept saying i'm professional i'm professional like if you're professional you shouldn't have to keep saying that

01:29:18 - 01:29:37 | Speaker 9:

although that would be a great new sales technique you know what i mean it would be i'll sleep with your husband uh or figure it out the only fans are there any real estate agents on only fans that would be amazing too carla says that paul isn't doing anything

01:29:37 - 01:29:42 | Speaker 1:

with the realtor how do you know that carla yes i am team paul first time long time guys

01:29:42 - 01:29:54 | Speaker 3:

hey hey hey hey hey okay look wait do that again do that again one more time Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.

01:29:55 - 01:29:57 | Speaker 9:

I wanted to hey, hey, hey my horn with you. Go ahead.

01:29:58 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 3:

You guys, pause.

01:30:00 - 01:30:41 | Speaker 4:

is being bamboozled here okay because poor paul was not expecting the call when he did the voice card the voice card is something that you would do like for your co-worker who bought you a hot pocket i don't know but i don't think for one minute that paul is dating the realtor i don't believe that his card was too it was so general what he said hey thanks and maybe he and this lady has this poor woman running up and down the street watching, looking at five and ten homes a day. So he's like, you know what? Thank you for not clunking out on us. Thank you. We've turned down a thousand homes and you stuck in with us. I think Paul is being bamboozled. Poor Paul. Poor Paul.

01:30:42 - 01:30:48 | Speaker 2:

Poor Paul. All right, Carla. You know what? I love that I picked you up because you gave me energy this morning. I appreciate you so much.

01:30:49 - 01:30:50 | Speaker 4:

01:32:05 - 01:32:09 | Speaker 1:

iPhones we were freaking out yesterday I would be doing the same thing I don't even know if I want

01:32:09 - 01:32:55 | Speaker 2:

to do a topic like this because i don't think that i've ever done this topic when any of my kids have ever been on a spring break but i want to know what really happens on spring break like what is luke doing in punta cana right now uh we're going to talk about that all coming up here and uh am i the a-hole is happening this morning uh happy fat tuesday everybody we started talking about poonskis this morning and i said hey anybody with a poonski you come on down here to the radio station that's your instant employee id card you can walk through the front doors and our good friend grace from american coney island calls up and i'm like wait a second grace this isn't you guys sell you know conies and things like that and great you know great food she's like we are doing a poonski special today what are you doing over there at

01:32:55 - 01:33:41 | Speaker 3:

american coney island we're doing a coney poonski and we're in our sixth year and is it crazy as it sounds no it's crazy it's crazy people think i'm crazy which it's fine but it works and they're delicious if it wasn't good i wouldn't sell it come on you swear so i swear is it a punch i don't just sell something to make money so it's especially made because there's no filling here's what people don't understand it's a glazed punch key no jelly prune coconut whatever filling the filling is the hot dog chili mustard onions it's sweet and savory when we all eat pancakes and waffles. We throw bacon and sausage. Talk to them. We put syrup on it. That's what it is. Yeah. And so this is it. I'm about to smash this boy. It's a Kony Punchki. We sell out, guys, usually. It's no joke. And I order hundreds and hundreds of them. Slide it my way,

01:33:41 - 01:33:44 | Speaker 2:

Grace. I'm a Kony store. You want me to videotape you? Slide it my way. I don't have to.

01:33:45 - 01:33:50 | Speaker 3:

I want it. I brought a knife if you guys want to cut it. I'm about to hold on a knife. It's worth taking a bite. I'm not joking around. Hold on.

01:33:51 - 01:33:53 | Speaker 2:

I want a video. That's not what I expected.

01:33:53 - 01:34:01 | Speaker 3:

That's not what I expected either. I expected it all to be chopped up and mushed and mashed inside I want to see you eat this thing

01:34:01 - 01:34:05 | Speaker 2:

This is like when you get a breakfast burger with the donut as a bun

01:34:05 - 01:34:08 | Speaker 3:

I did this before they also do the mash up

01:34:08 - 01:34:41 | Speaker 2:

I am now more interested in this It's got more gluten in it How was it, Kev? Let me see something go in your mouth Come on What are you talking about? This is not your only fan's dream I need to use this against you. I'm not mad, Grace. I'm just going to bite of hers. Grace, no offense. You've got to try it. You know I love you. I know. Seriously. I wouldn't stick that thing into my mouth. That is awful. You're missing out. That looks so bad.

01:34:42 - 01:34:49 | Speaker 3:

Take a nice big bite. By the way, I'm not going to lie to you. My stomach's starting to hurt me right now just from watching you guys eat these things. Look at the girls trying to look.

01:34:49 - 01:35:02 | Speaker 2:

Come on. They love it. That works. Grace. That's not what I expected. Thank you. At some point, seriously, you're going to cause for more people to get sick than the people that go to the place next door to you. We're not talking about them today.

01:35:02 - 01:35:16 | Speaker 1:

We're talking about Coney Poonchkis. I got a dumb Grace. I had a dumb Grace. Oh, my goodness. All right. Thank you. All right. So this is awesome. So Grace from American Coney Island. And this is only down in American Coney Island. Only today.

01:35:17 - 01:35:29 | Speaker 2:

Where do you get your Poonchkis from? I get them from a place called Golden Donuts. I called the ones out in Hamtramck, but they couldn't. They wouldn't do it without filling. So I found a place. And these guys are wonderful. They've been doing them for all six years for us.

01:35:30 - 01:35:47 | Speaker 1:

And I can only imagine that the, you know, the bakeries, the historic Polish bakeries and stuff that normally do this thing, we'd love this idea because anything that they can serve to eat is great. But they're just making so much money right now selling just regular poochies, right?

01:35:48 - 01:35:49 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, they are. Exactly.

01:35:49 - 01:35:52 | Speaker 1:

And you're a big promoter of other people's businesses. You love them.

01:35:52 - 01:35:54 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, absolutely. You have to support each other.

01:35:54 - 01:35:54 | Speaker 1:

That's great.

01:35:54 - 01:35:59 | Speaker 2:

So come on down and try one. We'll have them until we sell out. And they are delicious. Yeah.

01:35:59 - 01:36:01 | Speaker 1:

How many of these things, honestly, will you sell today?

01:36:01 - 01:36:17 | Speaker 2:

Well, we did about five, almost 500 last year. So, like I said, if I, I can't, or, I mean, we sold out at 115 last year and we opened today and I'm like, what do I, what do I do? Order a thousand? You know, it is what it is. So I definitely ordered more.

01:36:17 - 01:36:19 | Speaker 1:

Who are the people that are eating these things? Are they like?

01:36:19 - 01:36:35 | Speaker 2:

People are driving in from all over. Offices are sending people to buy them, just regular customers. They love them. Did you eat that? Wow. And then there's a lot of people that think it's, you know, what kind of mashup. Listen, it's two traditions, a poonchki and a coni. Put it together, and it's delicious.

01:36:35 - 01:36:36 | Speaker 1:

That is great.

01:36:36 - 01:37:10 | Speaker 2:

Truly, I thought it was going to be nasty. Right? I'm going to be real honest. Yes. That's really good. Thank you very much. Like I said, you know me, guys. I'm not going to sell something just to profit off it. I'm not like that. Yeah. So when I tried it, we were selling poonchkis, and then I'll get out of here. We were selling years ago when we did donuts. It was Fat Tuesday. They go, let's bring some people. Let's get some poonchkis. But we were selling them, and I sat there, and I was talking with some of my friends, some DPD police officers, actually. I'm like, I wonder how this would be. Yeah, try it. I wonder what it would be if we put it together. I scooped out the filling. I put the hot dog in the chair. I took one bite in. I'm like, oh, my God, this is so good.

01:37:10 - 01:37:32 | Speaker 1:

Wow. That is fun. Isn't it amazing? It's amazing how you can kind of put certain things together. Like, I've seen people do weird stuff, combos with, you know, pizza and tacos. It seems like everybody nowadays has some kind of a different type of a taco. I mean, it is crazy. Pull up on my dog, Grace, American Coney. That's awesome.

01:37:33 - 01:37:35 | Speaker 2:

Thanks for having me. Thank you for coming in. Thanks, Grace.

01:37:36 - 01:37:48 | Speaker 1:

Love you so much. Love you guys, too. Thank you. She was hanging out during the War of the Roses. And, by the way, those things were sitting out there for, like, five or seven minutes or something like that. They still tasted that good because you guys ate it, usually. I'm for it. That's good. You might see me later.

01:37:49 - 01:37:49 | Speaker 2:

Onions all around.

01:37:50 - 01:37:55 | Speaker 1:

What can you do with corned beef and cabbage? Because we're getting ready for St. Patrick's Day. Is that how you do it?

01:37:55 - 01:38:01 | Speaker 2:

Happy early birthday. What? You are not. I'm going to be 60 March 17th.

01:38:01 - 01:38:10 | Speaker 1:

Grace, too far. Grace, I got to be honest with you. Seriously, I've always thought that Grace was so beautiful. Things are hanging. The fact that you're 60 years old. Oh, my God.

01:38:10 - 01:38:16 | Speaker 2:

60 March 17th. People are like, how's a Greek born on St. Patrick's Day? Ask my parents. Oh, my God.

01:38:16 - 01:39:29 | Speaker 1:

honey um she's even hotter now knowing she's 60 years old yeah i'd take grace doll sprinkle some onions on her love you take care do not know going current time by the way by the way seriously her brother's right now listening i don't want that what's up Okay, so St. Patrick's Day, I'm playing this music because we're going to be doing a St. Patrick's Day party like we do all year, or every year, in West Michigan. You know how they do Irish on Ionia, or they have done? Well, this year, it's different. It's changed. It's Irish off Ionia. And I guess the people on Ionia. Yeah, what the heck happened? I don't know. We'll actually have to ask them about it. But honestly, I like this better because I feel like doing it Irish off Ionia, the area that they're going to be doing it in, is kind of a bigger party area. Like, it's a cool area to go to. So still the stage, still the live bands, still the DJs. Lots of drinking, lots of beer flowing, lots of, you know, whatever you want to drink. You're drinking whiskey, probably, Irish whiskey.

01:39:29 - 01:39:33 | Speaker 2:

No, last year, Kevin and I every year drink Pinot Grigio.

01:39:33 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. You can't have Pinot Grigio. Why not? We do. We do. We are so old. It's like having a Coney Punchki. It's not that we only drink Pinot Grigio. It's just among the selections. Is it green? Do they paint it green or dye it green? We should. That would be amazing. Okay, here we go. Pinot Grigio. This is happening on Saturday, March the 15th in downtown Grand Rapids.

01:40:00 - 01:41:01 | Speaker 3:

It's starting early in the morning and going through the evening. If you want to go, we've got some passes to give away. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Last year, we brought so many people from our listening areas in Detroit and Toledo to go out to Grand Rapids. They loved it so much, and they loved that we weren't just promoting it to everybody that listens to us on SNX. So, come on, let's do it again. I think this is our celebration like Chicago has their celebration. And Boston has theirs. New York has theirs for St. Patrick's Day. I know Chicago does the whole die in the river green thing. And that is actually kind of a cool thing. Like, they do a great job. But why drive so far to get drunk? I mean, when you're drunk, you don't care where you are. Come to Irish off Ionia this year is what it's called. And you can be part of this thing. So we'll grab a winner real quick. And then I'm excited for it. I'm excited. Top-notch limo and party bosses. Lori and everybody over there Mike's going to be our driver this year

01:41:01 - 01:41:03 | Speaker 2:

I love Mike

01:41:03 - 01:41:08 | Speaker 3:

Did you hear that SNX is going to let us broadcast on the way out

01:41:08 - 01:41:09 | Speaker 2:

01:41:26 - 01:41:27 | Speaker 1:

We've got to get that window paint.

01:41:28 - 01:41:40 | Speaker 3:

I wanted to, like, I thought it would be kind of cool. Yes. You know how when you go on road trips, like, kids that have, like, travel baseball teams and stuff do? You can do all this stuff? I thought we'd paint it on there and do something like. We need to do that.

01:41:40 - 01:41:45 | Speaker 1:

We should put our phone number on there. Or, like, yeah. Yeah, like, call us. Yes.

01:41:46 - 01:41:49 | Speaker 3:

Irish off Ionia or bust on the big party bus.

01:43:00 - 01:43:01 | Speaker 2:

Absolutely. Thank you.

01:43:01 - 01:43:06 | Speaker 3:

It's going to be the biggest party celebrating St. Patrick's Day, March 15th. I'm a sailor of pain.

01:43:06 - 01:43:10 | Speaker 2:

I lost my leg. Climbing up the top sails.

01:43:11 - 01:43:12 | Unknown:

I lost my leg.

01:43:12 - 01:43:26 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no, come on. Now you got me. Oh, I sound like a DJ four-finger. Coming out of my cage and I've been doing just fine. God, I gotta be down because I won't.

01:43:26 - 01:43:39 | Speaker 3:

Lydia, give me another winner. Come on, give me another winner, Lydia. I don't care. I want somebody else, too. Lauren, I'm getting somebody else to party with here, too, okay? So we're going to win another one here. You ready?

01:43:39 - 01:43:40 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, let's do it.

01:43:40 - 01:44:01 | Speaker 3:

All right, you're in Grand Rapids. Let's see if we can get somebody a little further than you to drive to West Michigan. Jessica, where are you from? I'm from Bloomville, Ohio. Oh, my God. You're going to be doing the drive. You're coming, too. You're coming. By the way, you can't wake up on Saturday and say, I'm not doing this. You should get a room the night before and the night of, okay?

01:44:02 - 01:44:03 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. All right.

01:44:05 - 01:44:12 | Speaker 3:

By the way, I love that, too. You sounded like you were ready for it. This is what you're going to sound like that night. You're going to be...

01:44:12 - 01:44:14 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my goodness.

01:44:15 - 01:44:24 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Say hi to Lauren. She's going to be your new friend. She's going to be the girl holding your hair back when you're thrown up. Hi, Lauren. Hey, guys. Hold on one second here.

01:44:24 - 01:44:25 | Speaker 2:

Hello.

01:44:27 - 01:44:47 | Speaker 3:

All right. We'll get more winners coming up here over the course of the next, I don't know, week and three days or so. All right. It's Mojo in the Morning Show. Phone number is 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Text is 95500. Kev, you got a little friend dilemma here. What's going on?

01:44:47 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 1:

I do, man. I got a great friend. He is the kind of like brother of my cousin's wife. So he's always around. He's part of the family now. And he's an older guy. And he's finally settling down.

01:45:00 - 01:46:11 | Speaker 2:

and getting married so he's had girlfriends come through and relationships have happened but nobody has had the ability to make him feel as though they were the one and now he's found his queen and this guy has supported me and I feel like almost every major milestone and moment of my life he's at the gender reveal he was at the birthday party that you all came to he's been at a ton of things and I am not the most organized person when people send me save the dates I'm not straight to the calendar. I'm not putting it on a refrigerator. I'll say, yeah, I'm going to come and all of these things. And now I realized that I'm not going to be able to go. And I had already said I was going to be able to go. So yesterday I had to make the tough phone call and tell him like, Hey man, I love you. I appreciate you coming out and support me at everything, but I can't can't make your wedding and i'm trying to figure out like what's a way that i can make it up to them i thought about hiring like one of those airplane things where you like had a congratulations banner i don't even know if it's outside though they like that i think they're really we've done

01:46:11 - 01:46:20 | Speaker 5:

one aren't they expensive gotta be like a hundred dollars no they're thousands yeah i think they're upwards of like a thousand dollars i could be very wrong maybe there's a discount what you

01:46:20 - 01:46:22 | Speaker 1:

You can say, what's the reasoning? What's going on? Why are you not going?

01:46:22 - 01:46:25 | Speaker 2:

I mean, the Pistons are looking like they're going to be in the playoffs.

01:46:25 - 01:46:26 | Speaker 1:

Oh, so you're going to work.

01:46:27 - 01:46:27 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, type of vibe.

01:46:28 - 01:46:36 | Speaker 1:

So it's basically, what do you do for your best buddy that you're going to be missing the wedding, and how do you decide that it's good enough for him?

01:46:36 - 01:46:43 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I feel like I got to make it. Like, this sucks. And maybe I could have forecasted it a certain way, and I don't know.

01:46:43 - 01:46:46 | Speaker 1:

What did he say when he found out that you couldn't go?

01:46:46 - 01:47:07 | Speaker 2:

He sounded sad. Like, he kind of put it to where he kind of said, like, I'm not the only person that's dropping out. Like, that was the kind of impression I got. He's like, oh, just add another one to the list. Like, he kind of made it like a sarcastic kind of joke, but still disappointed. And he brought up the fact, like, man, I didn't came to the gender, everything I just said, I didn't came to the gender reveal, I didn't came to the birthday party. And I'm like, bro, I'm sorry. Like, I love you, but, you know.

01:47:08 - 01:47:12 | Speaker 1:

What did he expect you to do, to call off work, though, if you got to work on the wedding day?

01:47:12 - 01:47:17 | Speaker 2:

I mean, he understands, but it's still one of those things where it's like, you know, I guess a reluctant acceptance.

01:47:18 - 01:47:22 | Speaker 1:

Do you think he's rooting against the Pistons right now, hoping that they don't make the playoffs?

01:47:22 - 01:47:24 | Speaker 2:

I don't know if I'm that important to the wedding, but.

01:47:24 - 01:47:26 | Speaker 5:

You are a fun wedding guest.

01:47:26 - 01:47:27 | Speaker 2:

I enjoy myself.

01:47:27 - 01:47:48 | Speaker 5:

I don't think you have to go above and beyond, though. Like, you're thinking that you have to hire an airplane to make this up to him. I, like, you have to work. These things happen. I think that you did the right thing by calling him instead of just, like, shooting him a text or, you know, sending back the RSVP that you couldn't go.

01:47:48 - 01:48:00 | Speaker 1:

But you also understand, though, that there's a chance you could go because there may not be a game on that day. And I'm not saying because the Pistons don't make the playoffs. I'm saying they may not have that as one of their game nights.

01:48:00 - 01:48:10 | Speaker 2:

But I don't know if you chance that. You know what I mean? Like, I hear y'all talk about weddings all the time, how expensive they are, how you got to prepare to play and all that kind of stuff. You just waiting in.

01:48:10 - 01:48:14 | Speaker 5:

Is it like a fancy sit down? Everybody has an assigned seat type of wedding?

01:48:15 - 01:48:23 | Speaker 2:

They're having their wedding in Vegas. So you got to, like, fly out. It's not just like I'm about to pop in for a day. Yeah. It's not that type of wedding.

01:48:23 - 01:48:25 | Speaker 5:

That's totally different, too. Yeah.

01:48:26 - 01:48:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. You're saying, you know, if he was really a good friend, you'd try. i mean i just i can't chance it you know what i mean that's that's the biggest thing if it was

01:48:38 - 01:48:50 | Speaker 3:

if it was local you would go if it was for you right because like you could if you don't have a game that day you could just fly in and fly out right i get maybe if i mean if if all the

01:48:50 - 01:48:54 | Speaker 2:

stars align perfectly yes there will be a flight where i could fly in and a flight where i could

01:48:54 - 01:48:59 | Speaker 3:

fly out and make it and take like need to that didn't cost a bajillion dollars right yeah why

01:48:59 - 01:49:06 | Speaker 1:

Why don't you take Jay Towers' private jet that he has and see if you can borrow it from China? The Fox 2. He does. He's got a big old private jet.

01:49:06 - 01:49:07 | Speaker 4:

What day is it?

01:49:07 - 01:49:08 | Speaker 1:

Got a private jet.

01:49:08 - 01:49:10 | Speaker 4:

I love that Megan is literally on. What do you do with that?

01:49:10 - 01:49:15 | Speaker 2:

I don't know at the top of my head, but it's like early May, late, late. You really don't want it. He doesn't want to go to the wedding.

01:49:15 - 01:49:16 | Speaker 4:

He does not want to go.

01:49:17 - 01:49:17 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:49:17 - 01:49:19 | Speaker 4:

May. We'll pick a Friday. Right?

01:49:19 - 01:49:20 | Speaker 2:

Pick a Friday. Yeah, sure. Why not?

01:49:20 - 01:49:29 | Speaker 3:

Right. You could do it for, yeah, like a hundred bucks, four hours, you'll get there nonstop. Shoot. I'll go to Vegas.

01:49:29 - 01:49:32 | Speaker 1:

For $100, I'll go to the wedding. There's no way there's a trip to Vegas for $100.

01:49:33 - 01:49:34 | Speaker 4:

If I'm on spirit, for sure. I'm sorry.

01:49:34 - 01:49:35 | Speaker 1:

What airline?

01:49:35 - 01:49:37 | Speaker 4:

$170 is what I said once I put it in the cart.

01:49:37 - 01:49:40 | Speaker 1:

There is no way. Not even spirit flies for $170 round trip.

01:49:40 - 01:49:41 | Speaker 4:

It's Frontier, baby.

01:49:41 - 01:49:43 | Speaker 2:

Frontier. Now stop.

01:49:43 - 01:49:45 | Speaker 1:

Shout out to Frontier. Do they have wings on the plane?

01:49:45 - 01:49:47 | Speaker 2:

I mean, they're probably the only one that ain't fell out the sky.

01:49:48 - 01:49:50 | Speaker 1:

Mr. Dilton. Stephanie, what's going on?

01:49:51 - 01:49:56 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Kevin, why don't you just get them pitched into playoff tickets? You're going to miss for the game.

01:49:56 - 01:49:56 | Speaker 1:

There you go.

01:49:57 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 3:

Wait, that's a great idea because he's here, yeah? find the guy from

01:50:00 - 01:50:03 | Speaker 2:

that helped Lydia and Biasa get them in through the fly door.

01:50:04 - 01:50:06 | Speaker 4:

That's a great idea. How do they have to pay at that point?

01:50:06 - 01:50:22 | Speaker 5:

That's actually a good idea. Give them something really good. I hate destination weddings. I think that's asking a lot. I love it. I was having a conversation with my son Joe about his wedding and I'm like, there ain't no way you're doing a destination because I think destination weddings are asking way too much of people.

01:50:22 - 01:50:40 | Speaker 6:

I want a Vegas wedding so bad. I used to think they were so tacky and now I'm so obsessed with them because everybody can come in their own price range. It's an easy out for people who don't want to come, and you can keep it to the people you want to keep it to because most people won't come. And it will be cheap as hell. White Chapel, let's go out and party. Love it.

01:50:41 - 01:50:54 | Speaker 5:

But I think that when you do a Vegas wedding or sometimes people will do Nashville now for weddings, even though Nashville should only be like your bachelorette parties, I think that you're asking airfare, hotel.

01:50:54 - 01:50:55 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, a lot.

01:50:55 - 01:50:57 | Speaker 5:

Then you got to pay for your own meals, all that stuff.

01:50:57 - 01:51:06 | Speaker 6:

But weddings nowadays are stupid. I don't want to, I do not want to have a wedding anymore. I do not want to invite you. It's going to cost me $30,000 to have a bad wedding.

01:51:06 - 01:51:13 | Speaker 7:

I have to tell you, I've done it all. I've had the big wedding and I've eloped. And you want to know which one I loved the most? Eloping.

01:51:14 - 01:51:23 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I'm not mad at destination weddings, especially like I've had a few friends get married out the country and I look at it like not only is it a vacation, but I'm going to enjoy the hell out of this experience.

01:51:23 - 01:51:27 | Speaker 5:

If you go to a destination wedding, you should not expect a destination gift.

01:51:27 - 01:51:35 | Speaker 7:

But it's fun if you are in that close-knit group of friends. But sometimes it's like a second cousin, and I'm like, I'll send you a gift.

01:51:36 - 01:51:38 | Speaker 5:

Send a Zoom link. Hey, Tom, what did you want to say?

01:51:39 - 01:51:42 | Speaker 3:

So if you're having a destination wedding, I'm not going.

01:51:43 - 01:51:43 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:51:43 - 01:51:50 | Speaker 3:

Good. It's too much of an inconvenience. I'm not going. If you want to get married, get married where all your friends are.

01:51:50 - 01:51:50 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:51:50 - 01:51:53 | Speaker 3:

I don't inconvenience everybody to go halfway across the country.

01:51:53 - 01:52:04 | Speaker 5:

If you're not having a destination wedding and if you're not having a bar that you're paying for, if you're charging me for my drinks, I ain't going, Tom.

01:52:05 - 01:52:06 | Speaker 3:

That's right.

01:52:06 - 01:52:17 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, right? Are we in agreement on that? No cash bars. Cash bars should be illegal. If I would run for president, cash bars would be illegal. Make weddings great again, Tommy.

01:52:19 - 01:52:20 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Mojo is a professional.

01:52:21 - 01:52:25 | Speaker 5:

Thank you. I appreciate you, Tom. What's up, Natalie? Hi, it's Mojo in the Morning.

01:52:26 - 01:52:37 | Speaker 1:

Howdy. I'm a wedding photographer, but I highly suggest just calling off work and going because you can always make more money, but you never get more time with your loved ones.

01:52:37 - 01:52:57 | Speaker 4:

Aww. That sounds good. Do you feel bad? I don't. Now, this piece has been in the playoff game since 2019. This guy. Yeah, he's not missing a piss. You're not missing a piss in this game? It ain't even about the money. It's about everything that I guess you would say I would get from the wedding. It's about the experience is what I love, and, yeah, that's what it is.

01:52:58 - 01:53:04 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Okay. Nice guy, isn't he, Natalie? Can you believe that this guy actually has friends?

01:53:05 - 01:53:06 | Speaker 3:

I mean, you know.

01:53:07 - 01:53:09 | Speaker 5:

He's got friends, believe it or not.

01:53:09 - 01:53:18 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Kev, I don't remember asking for your opinion, but since we're sharing how we feel, perhaps you could go f*** yourself. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:53:19 - 01:53:22 | Speaker 5:

What's up? How are you doing, Hannah? Hi.

01:53:23 - 01:53:37 | Speaker 2:

Hi. I was just going to say that I love destination weddings because it kind of forces me to take a vacation. And depending on where it is, I'll usually stay a couple days later or get there a couple days early.

01:53:38 - 01:53:42 | Speaker 5:

So it gives you a vacation because you're not the type of person that ever does your own vacations, huh?

01:53:44 - 01:53:50 | Speaker 2:

I usually don't, like, leave the state. You know, I'll do, like, long weekends. I think I just get too caught up sometimes.

01:53:51 - 01:53:51 | Speaker 5:

Sure.

01:53:51 - 01:53:56 | Speaker 2:

So I actually have one next month in Tampa, so I'll be there for a full week.

01:53:56 - 01:54:11 | Speaker 5:

Okay. That's going to be, and that's actually interesting because of, I'm assuming Joe and Alyssa, his fiance, will probably get married there. So it is kind of a destination wedding for like family members and stuff.

01:54:11 - 01:54:12 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

01:54:12 - 01:54:25 | Speaker 5:

But that's what I'm assuming. I don't think that they will get married anywhere else. But with Kev's friend The Vegas thing So which guy is this If you show me a picture I'll know exactly who the guy is

01:54:25 - 01:54:28 | Speaker 4:

It's not one of my like core five folks

01:54:28 - 01:54:28 | Speaker 5:

It's not?

01:54:28 - 01:54:30 | Speaker 4:

No so I don't even know if you'll recognize this dude

01:54:30 - 01:54:32 | Speaker 5:

But he was at the

01:54:32 - 01:54:36 | Speaker 4:

I was at the gender reveal and the birthday party You might recognize him there

01:54:36 - 01:54:39 | Speaker 5:

So why did he not invite me?

01:54:40 - 01:54:41 | Speaker 4:

He don't know you like that

01:54:41 - 01:54:44 | Speaker 5:

Do you feel bad honestly about not going?

01:54:45 - 01:54:54 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I mean, I want to show up for the people who show up for me. Yeah. You know what I mean? Go where the love is at. But, you know, hopefully just because I don't come to your wedding doesn't mean that I don't love you.

01:54:54 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 6:

I'm telling you, you can land in Vegas at 2 p.m. I love it. And leave at midnight.

01:55:00 - 01:55:07 | Speaker 4:

And get back here the next day, Saturday, at 7 a.m. So you're only missing one night for $417 on a Delta flight.

01:55:07 - 01:55:31 | Speaker 6:

You know what's amazing, though? You're hired. Let me say something to you. You're finding flights that are this cheap, and you know what you've got to pay for? You've got to pay for the seat. You've got to pay for your bag. Not with Delta, baby. That's why we fly Delta. All of these things. No, but here's the deal. You look at the price, the initial price. They charge you to go to the bathroom. Like, you can't even go into that bathroom. You know where they make you do? If you have to go to the bathroom, they hand you a cup. To be fair. And they say, right there in the cup.

01:55:31 - 01:55:41 | Speaker 4:

To be fair, this is back of the bus, Delta. This is like the basic, not premium economy. This is, you're two rows from the back bathroom. But 417 round trip, not stop.

01:55:41 - 01:55:46 | Speaker 6:

You don't even get a seatbelt. So if the plane lands upside down like that one did in Toronto, you're screwed.

01:55:46 - 01:55:54 | Speaker 3:

You do. I usually select basic. And you feel like a loser when you're the last person in that gate area.

01:55:55 - 01:55:55 | Speaker 6:

You get on the plane.

01:55:55 - 01:55:57 | Speaker 3:

Everybody else has boarded the plane.

01:55:57 - 01:56:17 | Speaker 4:

Can I tell you? Can I tell you what I do? This is so bad. My dad has millions of frequent flyer miles with Delta. Like, I'm not kidding. It's got to be four or five million miles at this point, if not more. And I book everything under his account where I want to be, and then they treat me like I'm a god when I show up. I'm still back in the bus, but they treat me well.

01:56:18 - 01:56:24 | Speaker 6:

Amazing. Well, I tell your dad I'll be using some of his frequent flyer miles. This is your captain speaking.

01:56:24 - 01:56:32 | Speaker 2:

Thanks for listening. You are now free to walk around naked and listen to Mojo. Mojo. I love waking up to Mojo in the morning. In the morning.

01:56:33 - 01:56:44 | Speaker 6:

All right, we're going to give you a shot at tickets to see The Weeknd. The show is going to be at Ford Field. Did they do two shows for that? I believe they did. Did they? Yeah, I think he added another one. He did.

01:56:44 - 01:56:45 | Speaker 4:

It's Saturday, Sunday.

01:56:45 - 01:56:49 | Speaker 6:

Saturday, Sunday. And this one is for the 24th. What day of the week is that?

01:56:49 - 01:56:50 | Speaker 4:

That's the Saturday show.

01:56:50 - 01:56:59 | Speaker 6:

So Saturday. All right, so tickets for the 24th, Ford Field, May, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 to see The Weeknd.

01:56:59 - 01:57:07 | Speaker 2:

Tap that app. Mojo in the morning on the iHeartRadio app. Tap that app. Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:57:07 - 01:57:09 | Speaker 6:

All right, Shannon, what you got trending in this hour is Dirty on the 30.

01:57:09 - 01:58:28 | Speaker 3:

Well, Jay-Z has filed a lawsuit against the Jane Doe who accused him of sexual assault. I kind of figured that this was moving in this direction. So this is the unnamed woman and her attorney, Tony Busby, and his affiliated law firm. You've heard that name time and time again. who said that Diddy and Jay-Z assaulted her. Do you guys remember this story? At first it was just Diddy, and then she threw Jay-Z's name into it. But slowly over the past several weeks, her story started to change. And recently, according to these new court documents, this Jane Doe told her attorney that Jay-Z was not part of this, that he did not sexually assault her. But her story is that her attorney purportedly persuaded her to continue with the lawsuit for their mutual financial gain so they could both make some money off of this. Jay-Z's legal team called Jane Doe's suit false, malicious, strategically, and tactically calculated and timed to inflict maximum pain and suffering. Jane Doe voluntarily admitted directly to Jay-Z's reps that her accusations of sexual assault were just not true. I love this. So now Jay-Z's saying, you are admitting this. So now I am throwing you.

01:58:28 - 01:58:46 | Speaker 5:

I absolutely love this. I think there has to be consequences for people who come out and just spread lies. For one, it's not right on the person you lied on. And for second, I don't even know if that's proper English. But secondly, and probably most importantly, you kind of remove the credibility from people who have real claims.

01:58:46 - 01:59:24 | Speaker 3:

Oh, for sure. And this says a whole lot about this attorney. if that if her story is true that he said let's keep it going because we can make some money here right about 18.1 million people tuned into abc's telecast of the academy awards on sunday night a seven percent decrease from last year's broadcast it is the ceremony's first viewership drop in four years by the way uh kind of a cute story timothy chalamet got a message from his high school drama teacher after the oscars on sunday you've earned your keep and the recognition of your artistry

01:59:24 - 01:59:35 | Speaker 1:

in bringing humanity to life with wit and passion and grace take it all in feel it and bring us

01:59:35 - 01:59:41 | Speaker 5:

more i love that uh yes i was waiting for you to do it i wanted to hear shannon do it

01:59:41 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 3:

Jimmy Johnson, the pro football hall of fame head coach with two Superbowl titles and one college national championship under his belt, officially announced.

02:00:00 - 02:00:05 | Speaker 2:

He's retirement from Fox Sports. Yesterday, I didn't realize he's 81 years old. I mean, I knew he was old.

02:00:05 - 02:00:18 | Speaker 1:

I can truly say, because of my family and because of y'all, I've never been happier in this time of my life. Happiest I've ever been in my life. God bless you, buddy. Was that goodbye?

02:00:19 - 02:00:21 | Speaker 5:

One day at a time, Kurt.

02:00:21 - 02:00:36 | Speaker 2:

One day at a time. So he's been with the network for 25 years, quarter of a century, as long as the Mojo in the Morning Show has existed. And he said he has been thinking about retiring for the past four or five years. Going to miss it. Going to miss the guys. But he's ready at this time.

02:00:36 - 02:00:51 | Speaker 4:

They think that they're also going to be pushing Terry Bradshaw out, too. Because it's another. Well, no, they're saying it's all the money thing that these guys. It's again, the networks are paying so much money for the rights to these things that they're realizing that they're not making as much money in the ad dollars on this.

02:00:52 - 02:00:53 | Speaker 2:

Terry Bradshaw, 76 years old.

02:00:53 - 02:01:04 | Speaker 5:

Funny story. I had a girl over last night and we had the TV on mute. And when she saw, like, Jimmy Johnson name come across, she's like, did he make Jimmy Johns? Oh. I was like, nah, girl. It's not the same guy.

02:01:04 - 02:01:05 | Speaker 2:

She get a second date?

02:01:06 - 02:01:09 | Speaker 5:

I mean, for sure. I ain't going to kick you out just because you don't know that, man.

02:01:11 - 02:01:48 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, as a Sex and the City fan, it is the find of all finds. Ashley Cano is a Poshmark fashion reseller. So she, like, finds good deals on items and then resells them on Poshmark to make money. She's walking around her local thrift store. She comes across this beautiful wedding dress, this strapless gown. It's got this big, fluffy ruffle skirt. The Goodwill price tag, just under $19. Turns out to be Carrie's wedding dress from Sex and the City. The one she wore for her Vogue shoe. Not like the Vivian Westwood one, but the one from the show.

02:01:51 - 02:01:52 | Speaker 5:

What's happening over there?

02:01:52 - 02:01:54 | Speaker 4:

I'm waiting. I was waiting for what I was getting.

02:01:54 - 02:02:11 | Speaker 1:

I cannot believe that I found this dress at Goodwill for $18.99. Vera Wang. Did you instantly recognize it as the dress from Sex and the City? It wasn't instant. Thank goodness for Google image search. And I looked it up. The first image was Carrie in her velvet shoe.

02:02:11 - 02:02:28 | Speaker 2:

She's going to make so much money on this dress. $19. Goodwill. Vera Wang dresses are like thousands of dollars. Yeah. It's pretty cool. Wow. For all of today's Dirty Catch-Up on the podcast on the iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

02:02:41 - 02:02:58 | Speaker 4:

We got a dude winning. I like it. We haven't had a dude winning in forever. It feels like it's all women winning contests here. Maybe Lydia is discriminatory towards the guy listeners. Or maybe you guys aren't fast enough to become the 95th caller. Mike, are you there?

02:02:59 - 02:03:01 | Speaker 3:

Yes, sir. I'm here. What's up, Pojo?

02:03:01 - 02:03:05 | Speaker 4:

What's happening, Mike? You're a winner. You're going to see The Weeknd, my friend.

02:03:06 - 02:03:09 | Speaker 3:

I can't believe it. You guys are the greatest.

02:03:10 - 02:03:12 | Speaker 4:

Buddy, I love you. Where are you from?

02:03:12 - 02:03:16 | Speaker 3:

I'm from Dearborn, the one and only. The one and only.

02:03:16 - 02:03:20 | Speaker 4:

Why would you be from anywhere else? Congratulations to you, buddy. You're going to see the weekend.

02:03:21 - 02:03:26 | Speaker 3:

I appreciate it. I appreciate it so much. I truly do. You guys are the best. Who are you bringing? Every morning.

02:03:26 - 02:03:28 | Speaker 4:

Who are you taking to the concert?

02:03:29 - 02:03:35 | Speaker 3:

I was going to tell them, I'm taking my girl. She's a big weekend fan. A little bit bigger than me, for sure. So she's definitely going to be excited.

02:03:36 - 02:03:41 | Speaker 4:

Now, let me ask you this question. Is she somebody you've been dating for a while? Or did you guys just recently meet? Or how's the story?

02:03:42 - 02:03:43 | Speaker 3:

Going on two years.

02:03:44 - 02:03:49 | Speaker 4:

I like it. Do we think that we're going to maybe get married to this girl? or are we pushing it too fast?

02:03:50 - 02:03:59 | Speaker 3:

You know, that's definitely the plan. We've had, you know, little talks about it, but that's definitely the plan. I'm actually planning on hopefully, you know, proposing this year.

02:03:59 - 02:04:12 | Speaker 4:

Good for you, buddy. Let's go, man. Maybe at the weekend concert. Congratulations to you, man. Hang on the phone, okay? All right, thank you so much. We'll get you set up with the tickets. Don't go anywhere. We got tickets coming up next hour for Post Malone and Jelly Roll.

02:04:12 - 02:04:21 | Speaker 3:

Cheater, cheater, alligator eater. Another world-famous War of the Roses happens at 9.40 on Mojo in the Morning.

02:04:41 - 02:04:52 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning. Just got a text from our boss. Tony said that the traffic is a mess.

02:04:53 - 02:04:57 | Speaker 2:

I was my traffic screen is all different colors and that's never good.

02:04:57 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 4:

The last traffic report you just did was like.

02:05:00 - 02:05:05 | Speaker 3:

three times the length of what a normal one was i only did maybe a third of what what's going on

02:05:05 - 02:06:39 | Speaker 1:

well i think in and i know everywhere there's obviously traffic issues but one of the biggest issues is the road closure in the detroit area where 696 eastbound has been shut down for what is not a huge area of uh town but it's a huge traffic area of town and they closed it down for two years as they're redoing this thing, redoing the Ruther or whatever the hell they're calling it. And this morning I was noticing all the detour signs all over the place. And I don't take 696, but I do take one of the detoured areas and their detour areas are just asinine. Like they make no sense because normally when you detour, you detour just off of the road and then come right back on the road they don't want to put people through some of the local areas the mile road areas so they're fully detouring you way in front of the uh the what is the construction area so they're making you get off the road i don't know a couple miles or even more sooner than you should and then they're wanting you to go 20 plus miles out of your way to detour and go on another highway because there's no parallel highway for them to to make you go on because 696 back in the day when it was built was literally the the the only east west version of things you know um so it's it's insane i uh i don't know i don't know i still will never get why in michigan they do it

02:06:39 - 02:06:45 | Speaker 2:

this way it's probably the best route though even though it's super inconvenient and it looks crazy

02:06:45 - 02:07:20 | Speaker 1:

I guarantee you they spent months trying to identify what the best detour is. Kev, you're an optimistic guy. Leave it to me, the pessimist, on this one. It is not. It's asinine because what happens is usually when you do construction in other cities, they don't do construction on the detoured areas. And the problem is they're doing construction on what should be their detoured areas, some of the mile roads, and they shouldn't be doing that. What they should be doing is waiting on the construction on those local lane areas so that they can put all the traffic through there and then it makes people's lives, you know, much better.

02:07:20 - 02:07:21 | Speaker 2:

Well, that sounds like poor planning.

02:07:22 - 02:07:28 | Speaker 1:

Not that the detour was incorrect. No, well, the detour is way incorrect. It should be you get off on the mile roads.

02:07:29 - 02:07:45 | Speaker 3:

Aren't they doing, I think they're doing, I should know this, I have the traffic screen in front of me, but aren't they doing some construction on some of the mile roads too, I think? That's what I was saying. So I'm looking at this now and I'm going, like, look at, can you guys even see this? Why don't you take the lodge, bro? It's like, whoa. Yeah, that's crazy. There's so much going on.

02:07:45 - 02:07:46 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:07:46 - 02:07:51 | Speaker 3:

But you know what? There is a silver lining. It just means you get more time with us.

02:07:52 - 02:07:53 | Speaker 1:

Oh, stop it. Wow.

02:07:54 - 02:07:58 | Speaker 2:

And we love having you. I love it. Thank you. Wow. That's the way to look at it.

02:07:58 - 02:08:02 | Speaker 3:

We're going to get really good prizes for the next two years.

02:08:02 - 02:08:03 | Speaker 2:

For the next two years.

02:08:03 - 02:08:07 | Speaker 3:

Kev's going to go on dating benders. Whatever you need me to do.

02:08:08 - 02:08:43 | Speaker 1:

I'm here for the people. That makes everything all better. I know that. All right, it's Mojo in the morning show. Phone number is 844-MOJO-LIVE. The text is 95500. If you ever call the show, tell us if you're a first-time long-time. If you've never been on the air, we want to know about that. You know, what's funny is when somebody will say to me, hey, how you doing? Have you ever done this before? You throw them off and you tell them you're not doing good and just see them go, oh, great, and have that happen. Have you ever had that happen to you at all before when you've done that or somebody has done that to you?

02:08:43 - 02:08:46 | Speaker 2:

I feel like I can look at people and tell though

02:08:46 - 02:08:49 | Speaker 1:

well no but I'm saying when somebody does it usually people don't really want to care

02:08:49 - 02:08:56 | Speaker 3:

how you're doing because we all just go I'm good I'm good how are you standard response everybody answers the

02:08:56 - 02:09:11 | Speaker 1:

same way and then you know what the answer is throw somebody off today and if somebody says hey how you doing just say to them even if you are doing great just say I'm not doing great and then watch the look on their face like oh crap I gotta actually talk to you but Shannon

02:09:11 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 3:

you aren't doing great. What happened? This truly happened yesterday. So yesterday was a great day. We had a great show. The day started off strong and then it gradually just turned into a really crappy day. A house expense turned out to cost way more than I thought it was going to cost. um my co-parenting relationship is not in a good place and that is weighing on me a ton I have a friend going through some stuff that's really hard it was it all just like started compounding and I I had like hit my limit in the day and so I went to I was randomly at the tailor because I'm five feet tall so everything that I buy I have to get hemmed and I am I Okay.

02:10:00 - 02:11:20 | Speaker 4:

have gone to this guy since before lucy was born so i've known him for well over a decade i know him really well and i love him and i'm standing there in this dress and he's like you know got the pins and he's trying to mark mark the hemming or whatever and he goes how's your day going so far shannon and i gave him the standard it's good it's actually really good how's yours and before this poor guy could even answer i caught myself and i was like nope no i'm like that is an absolute lie. I was like, today is actually really spitty. I almost swore. Um, but that's what I, that's what I said. And I'm like, it has, I was like, I can't even pretend or fake it anymore. It has turned out to be a really crappy afternoon. And my, I could feel my face get hot and my eyes just like well up with tears. I had bubbled over at this point in the day. And he did something that meant so much to me. And I think to him, it was just a little blip in his day, but he got up and he put his hands on my shoulders and he gave me a hug and he's like I am I wish more people were honest I'm not having a really great day either and he just gave me a hug wow but I know I threw him off when he was just expecting me to be like yep I'm good that's all but I I like there are those days you have when you're just like I'm actually not good I'm not I'm looking at your face you can tell

02:11:20 - 02:11:39 | Speaker 2:

that you're that i am not good yeah but yeah it it does it feel good to tell us also that you're not you guys are used to me but no but it doesn't i mean honestly does it does it feel good because sometimes you keep it in for such a long time for sure yeah for sure i i just felt bad that it was

02:11:39 - 02:12:10 | Speaker 4:

like the taylor who was on the the receiving end of me being like but it brought out his did you guys talk at all about what your not goods were or no he we did a little bit and obviously i'm not going to share his but um he he he just said to me he said um these conversations don't have don't happen enough and he said we're all we're all people we're all human we all have you know we all have really really good days and we all have bad you know types of bad days and wow i i feel

02:12:10 - 02:12:42 | Speaker 3:

awful because something similar happened to me this weekend and now i'm feeling like i didn't say enough but when um zach and i were checking into our hotel this weekend the girl who was working at the front desk was clearly trying to hold back tears and we were like hey how are you and she was like fine and then you just you want to keep asking but you don't want to make her cry and you don't like i i always feel terrible in those situations of like do i just let you try to work through this or do i kind of dig deep and get you to bubble over yeah um did he stick you

02:12:42 - 02:13:10 | Speaker 2:

with a pin when he uh when he hugged you and grabbed he did not no here you go i'll give you this one that's that's amazing as i'll be honest with you you probably meant so much to him but he probably has i don't know about that not a clue but it probably has no clue he probably doesn't realize that here you are this morning you know and you can bring it up on the air because of that moment because otherwise that goes in passing and you just push it down push it down push it

02:13:10 - 02:13:17 | Speaker 4:

town yeah yeah it meant a lot to me that he just let me have a minute to that's amazing then and

02:13:17 - 02:13:53 | Speaker 2:

take a deep breath and then that's incredible listen we do a lot of things on our show that are fun and funny and we do some things on our show that are just goofy and stupid this is some of the most important stuff that i think we do on our show because guarantee this is something that is more relatable to the listeners than anything funny that we do you know what i mean like because there you're going through something right now and if you are you know what it's okay to be honest and tell somebody hey I'm not I'm not doing good Liz what's going on hi good morning how are you

02:13:53 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 1:

guys good morning we're good what's going on um the story this morning it just really touched me um this year I made a promise to myself that I was going to actually start being honest with people when they asked me how are you doing and um you know i'm a new mom working full-time it's been a lot and uh this year my manager had asked me how are you doing and i just was honest with him um you know mortgage payments had gone up postpartum is ridiculous and um i've been struggling with work. And when I was finally honest with him, I was just overwhelmed with the support that he gave me. He helped me find, you know, some local resources to help for like new moms. He went out of his way to help me with resources at work. I mean, it's just been incredible. Just that one time of just being open and how much it has changed and helped me to this very day. I'm trying Yeah.

02:15:00 - 02:15:18 | Speaker 5:

I know. Yeah. But I think it's important to be honest. You know, it's amazing. That's so incredible because you hear nothing but negatives about people's business works and stuff. That's a person that honestly you will you will be loyal to because of the effort, the extra effort that

02:15:18 - 02:15:26 | Speaker 3:

he put into it. Absolutely. Absolutely. Yeah. Liz, we're going to think of you. Thank you for

02:15:26 - 02:15:32 | Speaker 5:

sharing this morning yeah we're gonna be thinking of you you you uh you hang in there okay thank you

02:15:32 - 02:15:49 | Speaker 4:

guys love you guys so much love you back see that's what's so wrong with this world man it's like we're so conditioned to operate in a world full of lies that it feels so distant from reality to finally speak about the truth like leaning into the truth of how you feel feels like the

02:15:49 - 02:16:24 | Speaker 2:

wrong thing to do well and it throws people off because we're not used to it yeah and the like The way that I equate it to is I it's like I have a bucket of stuff I can like, quote unquote, take. And most of the time, and you guys know this, I'll just like I'll pour into that bucket like, OK, I'm fine. I'll just shove this under the rug. OK, I'm fine. I'll shove this under the rug. And but like yesterday was the day that my bucket overflowed. Overfloweth. It overfloweth and not in a good way. But yeah, so this is just a reminder to empty your dang buckets.

02:16:24 - 02:16:36 | Speaker 4:

And don't wait until it gets to the point of overflowing, which I feel like is something we're also conditioned to do, especially when you got so much going on. Right. It's like, why do we wait until it's tipping over to allow ourselves that freedom to release?

02:16:36 - 02:16:36 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:16:36 - 02:16:59 | Speaker 4:

And I feel like when we have real talk on the show, like when we honest with each other, there's so much power and honesty. There's so much freedom and honesty. It's only when we lock it all inside and pile and pile it on that we start to get weighed down. Yeah. But the moment you, you know, unleash it and let it go is when you start to spread your wings a little bit. But that probably was so, like you said, it was probably so freeing for you in that moment, just to be honest. Yeah. Alicia, hi.

02:17:00 - 02:17:05 | Speaker 3:

Hey, guys. I was just going to ask how you are this morning, but we all know that now, so.

02:17:07 - 02:17:10 | Speaker 5:

No, really, but really, though, Shannon, how are you today?

02:17:16 - 02:17:22 | Speaker 3:

You can tell by that pause. It's okay. We're all, a lot more of us are like that.

02:17:22 - 02:17:30 | Speaker 2:

90% of my life is amazing, and I am so grateful. But the 10% that is crappy is really crappy. Mm-hmm.

02:17:31 - 02:18:22 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I just wanted to call in and let you know that even though it is really hard to even just say that, you know, I'm not feeling okay today. um you know i i i feel that i have been co-parenting with an alcoholic and he's an amazing person um but it's also extremely hard to let your four and seven year olds know why daddy can't see them and it weighs on you over and over and you guys are honestly the glimpse of light in our mornings and that's why so many people connect with you and please never feel guilty for or that you're trauma dumping for telling us that you're not okay because there's a lot of us that aren't and we can really relate to that and we're here for you thank you alicia

02:18:22 - 02:18:34 | Speaker 5:

that that's that's huge that's that means so much to us yeah you guys mean a lot to us and you're a very strong person to do that because you're trying to protect your kids and you trying to

02:18:34 - 02:19:34 | Speaker 3:

protect your ex too yeah let's hope he gets some help yeah it's you know it's one of those things where those people the people that are going through an addiction can't help themselves unless they see what it is and so you want to be able to shake them and let them know how it's affecting you and you can say it until you're blue in the face but at the same time you can't go to your friends that know them and say you know this person really did me dirty today and this person made me feel like crap because it's not them it's the addiction it's you know it's over overtaking their their reality and so it's so hard you feel so isolated at that point especially as a single mom i switch careers and all that so please know that like and this is just me one drop in a bucket right please know that everybody else is feeling something along those lines and you guys sharing this it's not please don't feel guilty it helps us feel like we're human thank you alicia we'll

02:19:34 - 02:19:45 | Speaker 5:

pray for you thank you uh ashley what's up ashley hi hi good morning morning um so i am uh an hr

02:19:45 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 1:

manager and my boss is the coo and i think the best thing that i've ever learned from him is that whenever we have any call before anybody jumps into any work we have a two-minute check-in and it's a two-minute personal check-in, and he has always been very real.

02:20:00 - 02:20:29 | Speaker 5:

with us like you know i'm having a shitty day today okay that's okay trust me i've wanted to say it 10 times i'm so happy somebody got it out i'm so sorry um but it's it's nice you know it's refreshing having the team feel comfortable to just say you know what i'm really anxious today and you know i'm also a single parent of three and i co-parent 50 50 so the weeks i have my kids and i'm working full-time it gets a little bit stressful so for me to be able to like you know what guys i'm feeling anxious today i'm a little bit so great that's great to start off

02:20:29 - 02:20:52 | Speaker 4:

west does that with his team his new team and he said it is it's so um it's incredible to see just how how close that brings you as a team but how much better people feel at work because they feel like they're in a safe space safe place oh my god you know what i'm talking about safe space safe place yeah no that's amazing worry that they're going to use that against you i think

02:20:52 - 02:21:06 | Speaker 2:

that's the fear well we don't do it well i think crap i'm screwed it happens i i i think that if you if they do i think that honestly it's not a place you want to work with or for what's up jen

02:21:06 - 02:21:31 | Speaker 6:

i just want to tell shannon that i know you go to church and everything so you need to remember that you can't have the testimony without the test so later on in life after you go through this and you become better for it, for learning from it, when you're preaching that to somebody else, this is what I've been through, this is what I've done, that's happened to me too, I've been there, this is your test. You give your testimony and this will help somebody else.

02:21:31 - 02:21:40 | Speaker 2:

I love that. By the way, your voice is so soothing. I know. I feel like I'm talking to a Disney character or something. I don't know. This is amazing.

02:21:41 - 02:21:48 | Speaker 6:

I think I'm talking to me and her both. I'm going through it too, so we all have it. But we can get through it together. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

02:21:48 - 02:21:50 | Speaker 1:

Look, planted and buried look the same.

02:21:51 - 02:21:51 | Speaker 6:

What?

02:21:52 - 02:22:05 | Speaker 1:

Planted and buried look the same. When you're planting something and you're burying something, that process is identical. It can look like you dig in and putting something deep inside, but what you don't see is what's being birthed. I think that's what she's talking about. Wow.

02:22:06 - 02:22:07 | Speaker 4:

That's so good, Kev.

02:22:07 - 02:22:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Between Jen, you, and Kev, and honestly, Shannon sharing this, a lot of people are going to walk away with something great today. We appreciate you.

02:22:16 - 02:22:18 | Speaker 6:

Love you guys. Have a great day. Love you back.

02:22:18 - 02:22:18 | Speaker 2:

Take care.

02:22:19 - 02:22:32 | Speaker 3:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning live.

02:22:35 - 02:23:00 | Speaker 2:

I got to go into Am I the A-hole now after us. All right, it's Mojo in the Morning show. It's time now for Am I the A-hole. We do it every single week at this time. and am I the a-hole you can go to the iHeartRadio app we ask you to go to our Detroit station channel 955 on there and then that little talkback microphone you can send us a voice memo and here's

02:23:00 - 02:23:26 | Speaker 8:

the one from today hi this is Alexa calling and I'm just wondering am I the a-hole for not listening to my boyfriend's mom about my apartment decisions she keeps getting really overbearing telling me to do and acting like she has a better understanding of how I want my apartment to be so I don't know I think I just want some input on this because everybody says I'm being really rude about this

02:23:26 - 02:23:37 | Speaker 2:

but I don't think I am interesting so it's your apartment yet your boyfriend's mom is telling you how to do your apartment is there a reason Alexa why your boyfriend's mom is even voicing anything

02:23:37 - 02:23:52 | Speaker 7:

about your apartment okay so i think i probably said this a little uh confusingly in my voice memo but it is our apartment like my boyfriend and i do live there that is where we live it is our place

02:23:52 - 02:24:05 | Speaker 2:

but they do pay for it oh geez okay so so your boyfriend's mom is paying is flipping the uh you know footing the bill for your apartment and it's it's she's still telling you how to do things in

02:24:05 - 02:24:32 | Speaker 7:

the apartment because she pays the bills right it's like laundry and like rearranging furniture and like making sure that things are up to her standard and while i do appreciate that she's paying for it i don't think that that gives her like dominion to make the decisions of how i live he's he agrees because he doesn't really care if he's like what however she wants it like i'll just live there but oh he agrees with his mom doing this yeah he doesn't agree with you on that

02:24:32 - 02:24:34 | Speaker 2:

you don't think she should do this?

02:24:34 - 02:24:36 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, he thinks I should just roll over and listen to her.

02:24:36 - 02:24:50 | Speaker 2:

All right, so here's the question I want to throw out to the listeners. Is Alexa an a-hole for not wanting her boyfriend's mom to have any say-so in their apartment even though the boyfriend's mom pays the rent?

02:24:51 - 02:25:00 | Speaker 4:

But you said she even has opinions on stuff like laundry. Like, that to me is very weird. Yeah, she was like, oh, you shouldn't put that...

02:25:00 - 02:25:03 | Speaker 5:

much like detergent and then i'm like well like i understand that but like this is a really heavy

02:25:03 - 02:25:10 | Speaker 3:

set in stain and like i i do know how to do this was she this involved when like before y'all moved

02:25:10 - 02:25:18 | Speaker 5:

in or did she just start no it was it was just when we started moving in by the way does she

02:25:18 - 02:25:23 | Speaker 2:

own all the furniture that's in there is is it you do you did you guys buy that it's it's a mix

02:25:23 - 02:25:28 | Speaker 5:

it's like some from uh garage sales some from the apartment i had some that she gave us i think this

02:25:28 - 02:25:42 | Speaker 4:

is pretty well how old are you i'm 20 20 you're 20 and how old is he 24 that's kind of crazy that your boyfriend's mom is paying the bill why is she paying for all this well i'm still in school

02:25:42 - 02:25:47 | Speaker 5:

and like he's doing school and some other things so she figures out like making sure that we're

02:25:47 - 02:25:56 | Speaker 4:

both stable is the best thing to do all right so do you think if you tell her don't do this that she would take away what she's doing for you? Like, she would stop paying?

02:25:57 - 02:26:12 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I also think that that would strain my relationship with him, which is not, like, ideal. I don't want to, you know, like, my relationship with him is more important than whether or not I'm being told my laundry is being done correctly.

02:26:12 - 02:26:12 | Unknown:

Yeah.

02:26:13 - 02:26:16 | Speaker 4:

Jeff, what do you think? Is Alexa an a-hole?

02:26:17 - 02:26:39 | Speaker 1:

I think she's on the borderline of being an a-hole because, like, she's not even paying her own place to live. So, like, if you don't like it, then, you know, get a job. I don't know if she's got a job or not. She's going to school, she said. Oh, well, I mean, people go to school and have jobs. What's the boyfriend doing? You can't live off mommy forever.

02:26:39 - 02:26:41 | Speaker 3:

You're saying this is the price of admission.

02:26:42 - 02:27:01 | Speaker 1:

This is the price of admission, exactly. You know, if you don't like what the mother says, then i would just suggest that you get your own place to live or just you know come home to i guess it'd be kind of her house that you're living in since she's playing the bills and

02:27:01 - 02:27:30 | Speaker 4:

just keep your mouth shut yeah i think this is like you're like living with them in their place but not their place because she is like she's letting you live at her house her house her rules tyra what do you think good morning um i don't like to say that she's nice i gotta dump that i gotta dump that hold on a second i picked up tyra i picked up tyra and she goes i don't want to say that she's being you cannot say a that word you say a-hole or something

02:27:30 - 02:27:56 | Speaker 6:

go ahead tyra what do you want to say okay i'm sorry so an a-hole but i agree with the previous caller that you know you got to put your big girl panties on and you have to just go even if you guys have to move into a one bedroom while you're in school or or live a little less than you have to but when you let people pay the cost they act like your boss and that's just what it is the only solution

02:27:56 - 02:28:05 | Speaker 4:

go ahead babe no finish go ahead finish i want to see if you have another rhyming one

02:28:05 - 02:28:13 | Speaker 6:

no I'm just saying y'all never heard that I love it

02:28:13 - 02:28:23 | Speaker 4:

you remixed it let's think of another one the only solution is to get yourself I don't know she needed to finish

02:28:23 - 02:28:26 | Speaker 3:

Tyra v Tyra I can't rhyme with solution

02:28:26 - 02:28:32 | Speaker 6:

but basically you know it's just that that's just what it is

02:28:32 - 02:28:38 | Speaker 4:

alright thank you for the call Well, Kristen, what's up? Hi. You don't think that she's being an a-hole. What do you think?

02:28:39 - 02:28:47 | Speaker 7:

No, honestly, I think she's definitely not being an a-hole in this situation. I do feel like it is not a good situation to be in, though.

02:28:48 - 02:28:55 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, why would you want to be in a relationship with a guy that, A, his mom is this overbearing, and, B, this guy can't pay his own bill?

02:28:55 - 02:29:14 | Speaker 7:

He figures stuff out. Exactly. I understand the whole point of, you know, they're going to school, but there's no reason you can't go to school and also keep a job. I mean, she's 20, he's 24. They should be paying for their own apartment if they want the luxury of not having the mother and mom involved.

02:29:14 - 02:29:45 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so here's where I'm trying to decide where I stand on this because mom said, okay, well, you guys go to school and start your lives. I'll pay for this apartment. I don't know if that gives her the right to say, for example, how she should be doing her laundry. And I kind of equate this in my head to parents who pay for their, let's say, daughter's weddings, but then make it everything that they want it, even though it's not their wedding. So I kind of see the similarity there, too.

02:29:45 - 02:29:52 | Speaker 4:

But, Shannon, we've heard this before, and we've had it. And we've even had it on Am I the A-hole. Parents paying for the wedding, they get to invite their friends.

02:29:53 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 2:

Right. But you let the wedding be what your daughter...

02:30:00 - 02:30:05 | Speaker 5:

you know has always dreamed of and in this case i don't know i don't know uh tim what's up it's

02:30:05 - 02:30:09 | Speaker 2:

mojo in the morning one last call on this one what do you think hey guys first time long time

02:30:09 - 02:30:46 | Speaker 3:

hey guys i think uh i think she's partially the a-hole but i also think the boyfriend's the a-hole too yeah um he uh he's 24 i mean i know times are tough right now but dude he's got to be able to live on his own at 24 years old uh he can't always be on his mom everything like that for i guess you could say paying wise so i think that she you know just like other listeners have said he's gotta she's gotta live on what the mom says just because she's paying for it yeah i don't know

02:30:46 - 02:31:00 | Speaker 4:

why she's getting blamed for his bills being paid because it's not her fault that its parents are paying his bills i think you're just realizing for the first time that you're dating an overbearing mama's boy. And this is going to be a problem past the rent paying.

02:31:00 - 02:31:17 | Speaker 2:

For sure. And think about this. Think about the fact that this guy is siding with his mom and basically saying you should just keep it quiet. She got the money. Of course he gonna side with her. Am I the a-hole on Mojo in the Morning?

02:31:19 - 02:31:25 | Speaker 1:

Cheating is a choice. Another world famous War of the Roses happens at 940 on Mojo

02:31:25 - 02:32:01 | Speaker 2:

All right, War of the Roses. We're going to do the War of the Roses from earlier this morning, the real estate agent one, where he's been going out with a real estate agent behind his wife's back, even though they're supposed to be looking for homes together. We will have more details on that coming up, including an update in just a little bit. It's Mojo in the Morning. If you were with us yesterday on the show, early on the show, we talked to my son, Luke. He is my 19-year-old son that goes to Michigan State. He's on spring break right now, and he is away in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

02:32:02 - 02:32:03 | Speaker 5:

We're going to let you say it.

02:32:03 - 02:32:51 | Speaker 2:

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, which I thought he was staying at the Hard Rock there. He's not staying there. He's staying at some place that I looked at the pictures. It was all stock photos. I'm telling you, I don't know. But I wondered when I saw this yesterday, I wondered if this kid even knew the place that they were staying at was kind of a little, it looked like sketchy. But Chelsea and I have been checking his, you know, find your iPhone to see how he's doing. And I just wanted to check in with my wife and see if she's got any updates on how night number one went for him. This is not a fun thing as a parent to be home. I used to love this as a topic of what did you do on spring break?

02:32:51 - 02:32:52 | Speaker 5:

I can't come to-

02:32:52 - 02:32:53 | Speaker 2:

Oh, she's not answering. She's not there.

02:32:54 - 02:32:54 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:32:54 - 02:33:00 | Speaker 2:

I want to know if Luke is okay. I'll just text her and see if she's heard from Luke.

02:33:00 - 02:33:10 | Speaker 5:

I don't know if as a parent I would be hovering over Life 360 or find my iPhone, whatever you use, every single second, or if I would never even open the app and just pray.

02:33:11 - 02:33:16 | Speaker 4:

I don't want to know. I'm just going to pray. What are you going to do about it if you find something you don't want to see?

02:33:17 - 02:33:21 | Speaker 2:

I have not. I will text him right now. How are you doing?

02:33:21 - 02:33:22 | Speaker 5:

He is not awake.

02:33:23 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 2:

You didn't even text the boy to see if he landed? No. Chelsea was checking it out. She was going back and forth. He got there. He texted her. He texted her because he knows that I am the dad. You know what I mean? It's like Nate Bargetsy, whatever, does in his comedy routine. his name and his wife's name are on the emergency call list why would the school call the dad you know what i mean like the dad's gonna know exactly what to do dad said oh he said i'm doing good um oh he's coherent how was last night he says it's probably still last night um by the way uh do me a favor will you please uh call me up and if you tell me a story about what happened on spring break that you don't want your parents to know about make sure that it doesn't make me more anxious and have anxiety uh man eric i'm gonna ask him can i call you can i call you um i wanted we did a bit one time and this was years and years ago we did a bit where we sent the mom on spring break with her kids and rented one of the rooms in the same all-inclusive that they were going to it was like in the same hallway and we were able and we were able to do it and it was i'm not gonna lie to you oh here's luke hold that saying here's luke right now calling hey luke just checking on you to make sure you're okay how you feeling i'm good did you sleep uh okay last night yeah sure you did did you first off your mom told me

02:35:00 - 02:35:26 | Speaker 1:

the arrangements were kind of interesting. I got to dump that. I got to dump that. Hold on a second. Luke, you can't swear we're on the radio. Yeah, we're on the radio. Shh. Ah, don't swear that. Don't swear. Mom told me that when you showed up to the room, what would the room look like? It's just one big bad thing. And you and a buddy are sharing this together?

02:35:27 - 02:35:28 | Unknown:

Yes.

02:35:28 - 02:35:33 | Speaker 2:

Who's the big spoon? Oh, that's not that bad. It's just two. It wasn't three or four.

02:35:33 - 02:35:34 | Speaker 1:

You just put pillows.

02:35:34 - 02:35:37 | Speaker 2:

I didn't make it to that room last night, though, because I lost my key card.

02:35:38 - 02:35:41 | Speaker 1:

Wait. You what? You lost your key card?

02:35:41 - 02:35:43 | Speaker 2:

Yes, I'm in another room.

02:35:43 - 02:35:45 | Speaker 1:

Wait. So whose room are you in?

02:35:47 - 02:35:48 | Speaker 2:

I'm in Caleb Green's room.

02:35:49 - 02:35:52 | Speaker 1:

Why are you? Wait. How do you?

02:35:52 - 02:35:54 | Speaker 2:

I'm sharing an even closer bed.

02:35:55 - 02:35:57 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. So there's three kids in that same bed?

02:35:59 - 02:36:02 | Speaker 2:

No, they have a twin one.

02:36:03 - 02:36:09 | Speaker 1:

They have two different ones. A twin? So wait a second. So Luke, you got to explain something to me. And this is the thing I don't understand.

02:36:09 - 02:36:10 | Speaker 2:

He doesn't know his bed sizes.

02:36:10 - 02:36:20 | Speaker 1:

Your mom told me that you wouldn't bring like a backpack with to carry your stuff. You cannot lose things. And he didn't bring cash. He didn't bring any cash with him.

02:36:20 - 02:36:27 | Speaker 2:

I get that. Who carries cash? I'm not selling $100 for cash because I wasn't getting any drinks. So I have to use the tip.

02:36:27 - 02:36:31 | Speaker 1:

All inclusive. But so will you say your mom is right?

02:36:32 - 02:36:36 | Speaker 2:

Yes, mom's right. I was going to text her later. She was right.

02:36:36 - 02:36:47 | Speaker 1:

I mean, what in the world are you thinking? The funny thing was, he says to Chelsea, he goes, what would you know about this? You've never been to Punta Cana. And she's like, yeah, I went three times with you.

02:36:50 - 02:36:52 | Speaker 2:

I was stressed out, dude. I was stressed out.

02:36:53 - 02:36:54 | Speaker 1:

You behave yourself.

02:36:56 - 02:36:57 | Speaker 2:

Don't make us come down there. Yeah.

02:36:58 - 02:37:30 | Speaker 1:

By the way, I just want you to know that I'm thinking about doing this bit like I did a couple of years ago where I send a mom down to spring break with their kid. Are you okay with your mom going down along with Caleb Green's mom, too? You would be okay with that? Send me Caleb's mom's number and I'll make the arrangements, okay? All right. I love you. Be careful. Are those guys up right now or no?

02:37:32 - 02:37:32 | Unknown:

No.

02:37:33 - 02:37:45 | Speaker 2:

I'm not a... I gotta wait. I'm waiting for my roommate to wake up. I'm gonna shower and then I'm gonna start boozing. Oh, jeez. I love his laugh.

02:37:45 - 02:37:48 | Speaker 1:

You better make good decisions, Lucas.

02:37:49 - 02:37:49 | Unknown:

Yeah.

02:37:50 - 02:37:52 | Speaker 1:

Will not. Will not. All right. I love you.

02:37:53 - 02:37:54 | Speaker 2:

Don't get arrested.

02:37:55 - 02:37:59 | Speaker 1:

Go green. All right, bye. Go to bed.

02:38:00 - 02:38:06 | Speaker 2:

I'm actually very impressed. He's awake and he answered your phone call. I know. Well, they went to bed early last night, obviously.

02:38:06 - 02:38:13 | Speaker 1:

All right. I want to know. I'm not going to look at Shannon. Shannon, tell everybody where you did spring break.

02:38:14 - 02:38:29 | Speaker 2:

It was so much fun. Walt Disney World. It was so fun. I got sparkly ears with a big sequim bow. It was so dang fun. I'm not kidding. I think we went twice, actually.

02:38:30 - 02:38:38 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Shannon. You're a college sophomore. I was a sophomore. Where are you going on spring break?

02:38:38 - 02:38:40 | Speaker 2:

I think I went my sophomore and my junior year.

02:38:41 - 02:38:43 | Speaker 1:

Luke's boozing. You're in line for the tico.

02:38:45 - 02:38:47 | Speaker 2:

Were you boozing at Disney?

02:38:47 - 02:38:50 | Speaker 1:

No, you know what you get? You get the Mickey Mouse ice cream.

02:38:50 - 02:38:55 | Speaker 2:

I didn't have a fake ID. Yeah, but you were pretty. I did not. I was too scared to get in trouble.

02:38:55 - 02:38:59 | Speaker 1:

But, no, you go to places like Punta Cana, that's why, because they're 18 years old.

02:38:59 - 02:39:02 | Speaker 2:

No, I know, but in Disney, I couldn't, like, I didn't have a fake ID.

02:39:03 - 02:39:05 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. You're telling me. I'm not joking.

02:39:05 - 02:39:21 | Speaker 2:

There's a 40-year-old there with his wife who's stressed out and sweaty and six screaming kids. And then me. And you can go, hey, do you think you could get me a pina colada? He would do that in a heartbeat. I didn't. Oh, my God. You're so handsome.

02:39:21 - 02:39:33 | Speaker 1:

That is so funny. My favorites are the ones that either do what Shannon did and they go on like a family-ish type vacation or they go and they stay with their grandma and grandpa down at their home in Florida.

02:39:33 - 02:39:36 | Speaker 2:

We did that freshman year. We went my roommate's aunt.

02:39:38 - 02:39:50 | Speaker 1:

It writes itself. What a spring break. Sherry. Hi, Sherry. Good morning. Good morning, Sherry. Your daughter is also on spring break in Punta Cana right now?

02:39:51 - 02:39:57 | Speaker 2:

She is. She's with her boyfriend and some friends at a resort in Punta Cana.

02:39:58 - 02:40:00 | Speaker 1:

Where does she go to school?

02:40:00 - 02:40:00 | Speaker 2:

Did she go to U of M?

02:40:02 - 02:40:04 | Speaker 3:

She goes to U of M. Go blue.

02:40:04 - 02:40:06 | Speaker 2:

Go, go, I was going to say go green.

02:40:07 - 02:40:12 | Speaker 3:

But I did go to Michigan State. Oh, okay.

02:40:13 - 02:40:15 | Speaker 2:

But your daughter was smarter than you. She got into Michigan.

02:40:16 - 02:40:16 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

02:40:17 - 02:40:47 | Speaker 2:

Listen, I get it. I went to a broadcasting school for Christ's sake. Hey, can I tell you that Luke is probably with your daughter right now? That's a weird thing to say. My son's with your daughter right now. Who knows? No, her boyfriend is with her, right? But Luke said that his fraternity guys all went with a bunch of Michigan guys and Michigan girls that they were friends with. So I think they all might be in the same place. Did you look at that place that they're staying at at all online?

02:40:49 - 02:40:53 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, the place that Sarah's staying at is absolutely beautiful.

02:40:53 - 02:40:53 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

02:40:53 - 02:40:54 | Speaker 3:

It's a nice resort.

02:40:54 - 02:40:57 | Speaker 2:

Is it not the same place as it is? No, no, no. No, let me explain this to you.

02:40:57 - 02:40:58 | Speaker 3:

I don't think so.

02:40:58 - 02:41:04 | Speaker 2:

No, no. Sherry, I'm telling you I looked at the pictures online They're all stock photos

02:41:04 - 02:41:08 | Speaker 3:

Oh no She said it's nice, she sent me pictures

02:41:08 - 02:41:31 | Speaker 2:

Can you tell what a I can tell from doing the radio stuff What stock photos look like But she said it's nice Is your daughter, is she like bougie? Because Luke Oh is she, okay, oh that's good then Because to Luke To Luke he is like he'll sleep on the floor somewhere he doesn't care i mean clearly he doesn't even know

02:41:31 - 02:41:51 | Speaker 3:

where he's sleeping right now no yeah no it's all inclusive drinks everything okay yeah she's not like that and first time long time i am so freaked out by the way i made chelsea call and text all

02:41:51 - 02:42:05 | Speaker 2:

the moms that she knew i wish i was better with the dads that luke goes to school with and is or some of his fraternity brothers, I am petrified of him being out there. And so is Chelsea. And we both have anxiety about this, right? Yeah.

02:42:06 - 02:42:11 | Speaker 3:

Yep. Sarah's been texting us all week. She's been there since last Friday.

02:42:11 - 02:42:12 | Speaker 2:

Come home.

02:42:12 - 02:42:31 | Speaker 3:

She's been texting us all week. Is she coming home on Saturday? She's coming home Thursday night, Friday morning. Okay. So they went Thursday to Thursday. All right. But yeah, she'll be home soon. I'm so excited. Yeah. All right. I hope you have a great day. Thanks, Sherry. Thanks for having me be on with you today. Have a great day.

02:42:31 - 02:42:45 | Speaker 2:

I'll be thinking of you and all the other families that have kids on their spring breaks. Why couldn't all our kids be like Shannon and go to Disney? I actually would love if my kid was a nerd.

02:42:45 - 02:42:45 | Speaker 1:

I'm telling you.

02:42:47 - 02:42:48 | Speaker 2:

I would.

02:42:48 - 02:42:50 | Speaker 1:

I wasn't that big of a nerd. It was so fun.

02:42:50 - 02:42:51 | Speaker 2:

I would. I swear to you.

02:42:51 - 02:42:53 | Speaker 1:

Okay, I was kind of a big nerd, but it was really fun.

02:42:53 - 02:43:09 | Speaker 2:

Like some people, you know, get kind of worked up about their kids, you know, being part of the robotics team and stuff like that. Like to me, I would rather have that because it's an indoor thing. I don't have to sit outside on a cold bleacher. You know what I mean?

02:43:09 - 02:43:22 | Speaker 1:

You can still get into trouble at Disney, by the way. I've told you this story a million times where we met these like rando guys at downtown Disney and got in their car and let them take us back to their house. That was an hour away. We were idiots.

02:43:22 - 02:43:30 | Speaker 2:

Now you're talking. Let the cougar out here. This is craziness here. That's unbelievable.

02:43:30 - 02:43:34 | Speaker 1:

And then one guy said he was a prince of some country, and I don't even know where.

02:43:34 - 02:43:36 | Speaker 2:

Shannon, my God.

02:43:36 - 02:43:37 | Speaker 1:

I told you this story before.

02:43:37 - 02:43:41 | Speaker 2:

I must have forgot. I'm going back to the archives to listen to that one. That's a good one.

02:43:42 - 02:43:46 | Speaker 3:

Cheat, and you'll get caught, is the War of the Roses in minutes on Mojo in the Morning.

Mojo in the mornings, Dirty on the 30.

02:44:19 - 02:44:22 | Speaker 2:

All right, Shannon, with what's going on in the Dirty Eye in the 30s. Shannon, what's happening?

02:44:23 - 02:44:43 | Speaker 1:

So sad news for Dolly Parton fans yesterday. Her husband of nearly 60 years, a businessman, I think he sold asphalt. His name was Carl Dean, passed away at the age of 82. Dolly said she met Carl the day she moved to Nashville. She was just 18 years old.

02:44:44 - 02:45:00 | Speaker 2:

Man, sad. I feel bad whenever I hear of anybody dying, but this morning when they were doing the report on television, Megan had the greatest reaction. They were like, and we don't know the cause of the 80-plus-year-old man's death.

02:45:00 - 02:45:05 | Speaker 6:

death and Megan's like he's 80 plus years old do we need to know the cause I don't know why I can't

02:45:05 - 02:45:15 | Speaker 7:

stop thinking about her this morning like to not have the person next to you that's been next to you for 60 years horrific oh my god our tastes are different in things but that works great

02:45:15 - 02:45:22 | Speaker 5:

because we have to give us stuff to talk about but we love each other she always said they were

02:45:22 - 02:45:29 | Speaker 7:

night and day polar opposites she she loved going out and dressing up and being with people he was

02:45:29 - 02:46:01 | Speaker 5:

a total homebody that's kind of he was homebody and that worked well for us he loved to go places if we were going to drive cross-country or go over if we had planned thing but boy he never could wait to get home he doesn't even like to go out to big dinners or anything like that so even on anniversaries and stuff like that we usually stay home make something special or go to mcdonald's go to mcdonald's or go to mcdonald's she dies it will wreck me yeah he loved rock and roll

02:46:01 - 02:46:24 | Speaker 7:

she obviously loved country i mean she wrote in a statement on her instagram by the way carl and i spent many wonderful years together words cannot do justice the love we shared for over 60 years by the way he inspired that song jolene uh she did this interview and she was talking about how they they went to a bank and one of the bank tellers was a little flirty with him and Her name happened to be Darlene.

02:46:25 - 02:46:29 | Speaker 6:

Don't be mad at me for saying this, but Dolly's music stinks.

02:46:31 - 02:46:44 | Speaker 7:

You shut your mouth. It was so bad. Have you ever listened to her first, first, first, like things? No. Nine to five? I mean, we're talking, I love nine to five.

02:46:44 - 02:46:47 | Speaker 6:

Island's in the Stream was the only song that I actually relatively like.

02:46:47 - 02:46:52 | Speaker 7:

She's got some classics, but also when she was first breaking into the business, I mean, her stuff was very sweet.

02:46:52 - 02:46:55 | Speaker 6:

She always sounded like her dentures were moving or something.

02:46:55 - 02:47:18 | Speaker 7:

No, she did that. Coat of Many Colors was iconic. All right, Millie Bobby Brown facing a lot of criticism over the past couple of weeks about her changing appearance. And I think she's 21, maybe 22 years old. And she's finally coming out to slam the media for all of their negative comments, saying she will not apologize for simply growing up.

02:47:18 - 02:47:53 | Speaker 3:

I started in the industry when I was 10 years old. I grew up in front of the world, and for some reason, people can't seem to grow up with me. Instead, they act like I'm supposed to stay frozen in time, like I should still look the way I did on Stranger Things season one. And because I don't, I'm now a target. This isn't journalism. This is bullying. the fact that adult writers are spending their time dissecting my face my body my choices is disturbing and the fact that some of these articles are written by women

02:47:53 - 02:48:04 | Speaker 7:

makes it actually went through read the headlines called out all of the writers and said i will not be shamed for how i look how i dress or how i present myself you guys remember the name casey

02:48:04 - 02:48:09 | Speaker 6:

anthony oh yeah that name she's the one that killed their kid right and got away with it for

02:48:09 - 02:48:43 | Speaker 4:

of you who don't know my name is casey anthony my daughter is kaylee anthony my parents are george and cindy anthony this is not about them this is not in response to anything that they have said or done that's not to say that i'm not going to respond at some point to some of the things that they have said and done so she's now giving legal advice on tick tock yeah i am a legal advocate i am a researcher. I've been in the legal field since 2011. Why? And in this capacity, I feel that it's necessary if I'm going to continue to operate appropriately as a legal advocate that I

02:48:43 - 02:49:00 | Speaker 7:

start to advocate for myself. Very. That's another whom today. Lots of whom. And lastly, Attorney General Pam Bondi telling Fox News more Epstein stuff is coming. A massive amount of files were dropped off to the FBI on Friday.

02:49:00 - 02:49:34 | Speaker 2:

And the FBI handed over a couple hundred pages of documents. But, you know, Sean, I gave them a deadline of Friday at 8 a.m. to get us everything, and a source had told me where the documents were being kept, Southern District of New York, shock. So we got them all by, hopefully, all of them, Friday at 8 a.m., thousands of pages of documents. I have the FBI going through them, and cash is also, now that we have cash here, it's a game changer, of course. and Cash is going to, Director Patel, is going to get us a detailed report as to why the FBI

02:49:34 - 02:49:56 | Speaker 1:

withheld all of those documents. Okay, I want to be clear because I think people got frustrated because they were expecting more. You were expecting more and you didn't find out less than 24 hours before the release you got a whistleblower that confirmed that there were way more documents that they were supposed to turn over and then you found out just before that.

02:49:56 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 2:

Well, sure, and you're looking at these documents going, these are.

02:50:00 - 02:50:31 | Speaker 1:

all the epstein files you know there were flight logs there were names and victims names and we're going where's the rest of the stuff and that's what the fbi had turned over to us and so a source said whoa all this evidence is sitting in the southern district of new york so based on that i gave them the deadline friday at eight a truckload of evidence arrived it's now in the possession of the fbi cash is going to get me and himself really a detailed report as to why All these documents and evidence had been withheld.

02:50:31 - 02:50:35 | Speaker 2:

I want these names. I want to see these names on there.

02:50:35 - 02:50:40 | Speaker 1:

But go through it very cautiously to protect all the victims of Epstein. Because there are a lot of victims.

02:50:41 - 02:50:44 | Speaker 2:

All right. Let's go. We'll believe it when I see it.

02:50:45 - 02:50:50 | Speaker 3:

I think there's videos, too. Because he had to have surveillance on his properties.

02:50:50 - 02:50:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, he had cameras all over the place, they said.

02:50:51 - 02:51:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I wonder what is contained in these quote-unquote files. All right. For all of today's Dirty, catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com. War of the Roses next.

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

02:51:26 - 02:51:34 | Speaker 2:

Destiny thinks that her husband is cheating with their realtor, the person that's helping you buy a house or sell your house.

02:51:35 - 02:51:38 | Speaker 5:

Helping us look for a house, our first house.

02:51:39 - 02:51:44 | Speaker 2:

And why do you think that he and her are cheating, or why is he cheating?

02:51:46 - 02:51:48 | Speaker 5:

They're just way too flirty with each other.

02:51:50 - 02:51:52 | Speaker 2:

Like too flirty in front of you?

02:51:53 - 02:52:19 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, in front of me and when they're not around me, he's going to see homes when I'm too busy or working. And I don't even know if he's really looking at homes. How long have you been looking for a house? And like, are you in a rush to move? We're buying a house for the first time together. So, I mean, we're not in a rush, you know. So there's like no reason for him to be doing this without you.

02:52:19 - 02:52:21 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, he should be looking with you.

02:52:22 - 02:52:29 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I want to know what his excuse is that he goes to look at houses without you. Because that doesn't even make any sense.

02:52:30 - 02:52:31 | Speaker 5:

No, it doesn't.

02:52:31 - 02:52:37 | Speaker 2:

Do you say anything to him about it or you not even mention it to him? Like, why are you going to look at a home without me?

02:52:38 - 02:52:46 | Speaker 5:

No, I haven't yet. But I keep seeing this address on his phone in a search history to a house that we're not even looking at. So that's what concerns me.

02:52:47 - 02:52:55 | Speaker 2:

And you believe that he's going back to the same house or going to this particular home and that's where they are with each other.

02:52:57 - 02:52:58 | Speaker 5:

I'm hoping not.

02:52:59 - 02:53:21 | Speaker 2:

But you're thinking that. Yeah. That would be interesting. Well, we're going to do this. We're going to offer him a dozen free roses and see where he's going to send them to in hopes that he is sending them to you and not to anybody else. I want you to mute your phone for us. Okay. How long have you guys been together real quick before you mute your phone?

02:53:21 - 02:53:28 | Speaker 5:

um we've been together since college so five years a little over five years do y'all have children

02:53:28 - 02:53:38 | Speaker 2:

no all right mute your phone okay okay thank you all right we're going to uh offer up the roses we're hoping he sends them to destiny

02:53:38 - 02:54:18 | Speaker 3:

hello hi is this paul yeah who's this hi paul my name is nicole and i'm calling from an online floral company called roses bloom.com with an offer for some free flowers if you have like 30 seconds to answer some survey questions we're going to give you a dozen long stemmed red roses that can be shipped out today to the person of your choice anywhere in the country completely free of charge to you and we're just calling to see if you'd be interested in taking part in our

02:54:18 - 02:54:32 | Speaker 4:

free offer uh no no thanks actually yeah no i don't really i don't really do stuff like this often if you wouldn't mind taking me off of your whatever list this is i don't even know how you

02:54:32 - 02:54:41 | Speaker 3:

my number it's two questions and it's totally free like truly it'll take it'll take a minute and you get free flowers out of the deal if you have somebody that you'd want to send some flowers

02:54:41 - 02:54:47 | Speaker 4:

to for free today um well i mean well i guess what are the what are the questions so the first

02:54:47 - 02:54:57 | Speaker 3:

question have you purchased flowers in the last six months no okay and do you plan on purchasing flowers in the next six months?

02:55:00 - 02:55:01 | Speaker 2:

I don't plan on it, no.

02:55:01 - 02:55:21 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so you're totally done with the survey, and now I can gift you that dozen long-stemmed red roses if you're interested. I just need to get some information about who you would want them sent to today. Like name, telephone number, that sort of stuff. I'm not going to ask you for your credit card info. Nothing like that. So you're already done with the survey part. You might as well get the flowers, right?

02:55:23 - 02:55:29 | Speaker 2:

All right, then, okay, then you guys, like, don't call back, or there's, I don't, I'm not on some list where other people are going to.

02:55:29 - 02:55:31 | Speaker 3:

I can take your name off of our list if you'd like.

02:55:32 - 02:55:33 | Speaker 2:

Okay. All right.

02:55:33 - 02:55:36 | Speaker 3:

Just hopefully you'll use us in the future when you order flowers, okay? We're rosesbloom.com.

02:55:38 - 02:55:41 | Speaker 2:

Okay. All right. Yeah, I'll do it this time.

02:55:42 - 02:55:46 | Speaker 3:

Okay. First and a last name of who you'd like to send some flowers to.

02:55:48 - 02:55:51 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Maria. You can send them to Maria.

02:55:53 - 02:56:03 | Speaker 3:

Okay. And the last name? okay and her telephone number yep hold on

02:56:03 - 02:56:08 | Speaker 2:

414

02:56:08 - 02:57:01 | Speaker 3:

eight okay and what is maria's relationship to you she's she's a friend okay and just confirming that red roses is is okay yeah that's that's okay okay paul um i'm gonna go ahead and record a voice memo with you and at rosesbloom.com instead of sending a paper card we do a voice memo so when the flowers get delivered maria will get a text message alerting her that she has a delivery and then she'll be able to play this voice memo we're about to record and know who they're from and hear the message that, that you want to send to her. Does that make sense? So I'm going to count you down and you just say whatever you would like in your message to Maria. And that's going to accompany

02:57:01 - 02:57:18 | Speaker 2:

the flowers okay all right three two one all right hey maria uh enjoy the flowers um thank you for your uh help with everything and all your hard work and enjoy

02:57:20 - 02:57:33 | Speaker 3:

okay and she'll recognize your voice to know who they're from yeah yeah she will okay paul i also I also have to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes. Are you okay with that?

02:57:38 - 02:57:41 | Speaker 2:

That's fine, I guess. Yeah, if you have to.

02:57:42 - 02:57:43 | Speaker 3:

Is it yes?

02:57:46 - 02:57:48 | Speaker 2:

You recorded it. Yeah, it's okay. Yeah.

02:57:48 - 02:57:49 | Unknown:

Okay.

02:57:50 - 02:58:31 | Speaker 1:

And Paul, I'm going to jump on real quick and we'll wrap up the call after I just tell you one last thing. and then we'll make sure you have your gift sent off. Paul, while we've been talking to you and you've been sending flowers off to Maria, your wife, Destiny, has been listening in and just heard every word that you just said. Paul, your wife was a little suspicious of what's going on personally with you. And wanted to see when you were going to send flowers to. And you chose somebody other than her to send them to.

02:58:33 - 02:58:35 | Speaker 2:

Well, okay.

02:58:39 - 02:58:58 | Speaker 1:

Are you okay with the fact that you sent flowers to somebody else and didn't send them to your wife? You had a choice that you could send flowers to any person ever. And you ended up sending them. and the first woman that popped in your mind was a woman that's not your wife and actually is a woman that your wife is suspicious of?

02:59:02 - 02:59:18 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I'm, you know, I don't think it's, they were just like, thank you, flower. It wasn't like a big deal. It's a big deal to me.

02:59:20 - 02:59:30 | Speaker 1:

so paul you're trying to say to us that there's nothing going on between you and

02:59:30 - 02:59:46 | Speaker 2:

this maria girl yeah there's nothing going on it was a thank you flower i just thought of someone off the top of my head i did not expect it to send flowers to someone today it was a strange phone

02:59:46 - 02:59:53 | Speaker 3:

call. Paul, why are you looking at houses with Maria, the realtor, without your wife,

02:59:53 - 02:59:58 | Speaker 2:

Destiny? How do you know that?

03:00:00 - 03:00:08 | Speaker 7:

we know that because your wife told us that and that made her feel a little uncomfortable

03:00:08 - 03:00:17 | Speaker 3:

yeah well I wish that she would have a conversation with me about this because I don't even know what's going on here

03:00:17 - 03:00:38 | Speaker 7:

why don't we let you guys have a conversation and we'll see what you guys come up with as to whether or not she believes that there's just you sending a thank you to somebody. All right. Hang on one second.

03:00:40 - 03:00:47 | Speaker 6:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

03:00:47 - 03:00:49 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

03:00:49 - 03:00:50 | Speaker 6:

Live.

03:00:59 - 03:01:22 | Speaker 7:

mojo the morning war of the roses and destiny thinking that her husband is cheating with their realtor uh something interesting happened while the phone call was just made and you just

03:01:22 - 03:01:30 | Speaker 1:

heard that lydia what did you get mojo we just got a text message from someone who says they're

03:01:30 - 03:01:35 | Speaker 7:

the real estate agent so says that they're this woman that he just sent the flowers to this maria

03:01:35 - 03:01:41 | Speaker 1:

woman yeah she's a real estate agent for destiny and paul and what did so it's just a text uh hold

03:01:41 - 03:02:43 | Speaker 7:

on a second i'm looking back at the text messages here okay can you call them up and say and see if they'll go on the air with us because obviously they're willing to call themselves out by texting into us yeah i'll give him a call right now all right give him a call um the uh interesting thing was listening to the uh to the war of the roses i mean people make assumptions obviously off of listening to people's voices and uh an assumption that was made that some people are wondering if he is gay or straight because they heard his voice. I didn't even think about that. I didn't think that until I saw the text messages and then the text messages came through. And thought to myself, okay, well, I don't know. I'm not going to make the assumption. I would think that that would be something that his wife might know or if she suspected would bring up. It's not like

03:02:43 - 03:02:50 | Speaker 4:

they like to me the whole thing is random what are you saying thank you for she didn't find you the

03:02:50 - 03:03:08 | Speaker 5:

house so what are you saying thank you for i mean i've had i've had realtors where you looking for i mean they're taking a gamble by taking you out to these homes and hoping that you actually get one so i've said thank you i've never sent flowers but what i'm saying is like the the realtor that

03:03:08 - 03:03:36 | Speaker 4:

helped me you know find the house that i i am in now no i would i would send her flowers after everything was said and done maybe but when i was buying my house i felt really bad that i was asking my realtor to do stuff on the weekends or last minute or late at night all the time so it was like a hey thanks thanks for just helping through this whole process it's it's an annoying job from us yeah in this case wouldn't it be from uh you know what i mean lady you got her Not to be mean.

03:03:37 - 03:03:39 | Speaker 7:

Hold on, Lydia. Lydia, you got her?

03:03:39 - 03:03:40 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, she's on line eight.

03:03:40 - 03:03:43 | Speaker 7:

Okay, let me grab her first. Maria?

03:03:45 - 03:03:45 | Speaker 2:

Hello?

03:03:46 - 03:03:48 | Speaker 7:

Are you okay with being on the radio with us?

03:03:51 - 03:03:54 | Speaker 2:

Yes, I am. I guess so.

03:03:54 - 03:04:09 | Speaker 7:

So you're the person that the flowers were sent to or that were offered to be sent to. uh what are your thoughts after hearing the call that we made to uh to paul

03:04:09 - 03:04:30 | Speaker 2:

i i think it just must have been like as a thank you i don't think it is anything else i just think it's a thank you for helping them by now so nothing going on there no of course not i'm professional so no there would not be anything going on there

03:04:30 - 03:04:40 | Speaker 4:

Do you get the feeling that he is, like, trying to have there be something going on or that he's hitting on you or you're not getting that vibe at all?

03:04:42 - 03:04:55 | Speaker 2:

No, I don't think so. I just think that he's trying to be polite and say thank you. I don't think it's anything else.

03:04:55 - 03:05:00 | Speaker 7:

So no things have happened.

03:05:00 - 03:05:08 | Speaker 5:

between the two of you guys no no no nothing happened at all because we've

03:05:08 - 03:05:25 | Speaker 2:

mentioned that there have been situations where people have actually had relationships with you know their real estate agents their people are selling them homes and that is not something that you have ever done no no I would

03:05:25 - 03:05:33 | Speaker 5:

never do that I'm professional and I keep it professional when I'm doing these jobs and I

03:05:33 - 03:06:04 | Speaker 1:

would never would never do that is it normal that couples would you know that they're looking for a home but then you're corresponding with just one of them to arrange like times to go see a particular house but the other in this case destiny is not on those conversations to even know what's going on. Because to me, even if I were looking at a house with my husband and I couldn't go, I'd still be on that correspondence, right? He might be the one to just go, but it sounds like she's completely in the dark here, which is what makes the whole thing very, very

03:06:04 - 03:06:15 | Speaker 5:

suspicious. Right. Well, I just think that people work differently. I don't think it's anything not normal. I think that some people like to do that and some people don't. There's

03:06:15 - 03:06:21 | Speaker 2:

nothing going on at all. Are you in a relationship with anybody or what is your

03:06:21 - 03:06:30 | Speaker 5:

status if you don't mind me asking i am seeing people but i'm not in a relationship no so you're

03:06:30 - 03:06:37 | Speaker 2:

not married or dating no okay all right all right we'll appreciate you going on the air with us

03:06:37 - 03:06:40 | Speaker 5:

okay okay thank you bye

03:06:40 - 03:06:48 | Speaker 2:

uh there's another this morning uh manda what's up it's mojo in the morning hi

03:06:48 - 03:07:17 | Speaker 3:

hi good morning good morning um i was just thinking that when you guys called him and he had said it was just the first person he thought of shouldn't the first person you think of be your wife not yep your realtor agent even if you're corresponding a lot with them yeah i still feel like the first person for flowers would be your wife absolutely yeah no that's that's a dead

03:07:17 - 03:07:22 | Speaker 2:

giveaway that there's something going on uh haley what's up it's mojo in the morning hi

03:07:22 - 03:07:38 | Speaker 7:

hi how are you we're good haley what are your thoughts so i don't know if you guys heard paul say but when you asked him um or you had mentioned that he's going to see homes without his wife um

03:07:38 - 03:07:48 | Speaker 2:

he literally said how do you know that well well he he did say that because i think that he got caught off guard that we got all this information from his wife how does it what does that deal

03:07:48 - 03:07:59 | Speaker 7:

with anything well he just admitted that he was going to see homes without her when she said originally that that was just her suspicion and she never had um confirmed that with him or not

03:07:59 - 03:08:12 | Speaker 2:

oh okay okay yeah yeah yeah interesting now that's an interesting thing to listen you know close to these war of the roses to see what kind of little uh little nuggets they drop for you What's up, Jennifer? Hi.

03:08:13 - 03:08:14 | Speaker 6:

Hi. First time, long time.

03:08:14 - 03:08:16 | Speaker 7:

Hey there, Jennifer.

03:08:16 - 03:08:27 | Speaker 6:

Jennifer. You know him, folks. He started acting clueless. Like, duh, duh, what's going on? I think that's because he's busted.

03:08:28 - 03:08:36 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, he seemed like he was easy with his words and had no problem with it until we jumped on and started doing it. I get it. You got caught off guard.

03:08:36 - 03:08:39 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, and then he was clean. Yeah, then he started acting clueless.

03:08:40 - 03:08:40 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

03:08:40 - 03:08:45 | Speaker 6:

How do you know this? And blah, blah. I started getting caught up with his words. I think he's guilty.

03:08:46 - 03:08:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Although, I got to be honest with you, if acting clueless means you're cheating, then bingo, bingo, here I am. Because I got clueless written right over here. What's up, Sean? Hi.

03:09:00 - 03:09:01 | Speaker 4:

Hey, how you doing?

03:09:02 - 03:09:03 | Speaker 2:

Good. What's going on?

03:09:04 - 03:09:18 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I don't believe the realtor. I think she's not trying to mess up her commission. and then the wife said it's an address that they keep meeting it. I mean, why are y'all keeping meeting at this certain address? Right.

03:09:18 - 03:09:46 | Speaker 2:

Well, that is an interesting one. You know, that is one of those situations where I wonder if the realtors have, like, some kind of a law that they can't F the clients or something. You know what I mean? Like, I know you can't, like, screw them over, but isn't that weird? Like, what could happen if you're a real estate agent and you get caught having an affair with a married person? And does that look frowned upon? Could you lose your real estate license? I don't know if you lose your license, but other married couples.

03:09:46 - 03:09:54 | Speaker 4:

Probably going to get a bad reputation. Yeah, I don't think necessarily, like, lose her license. I'm saying she don't want to make a commission with them.

03:09:54 - 03:09:54 | Speaker 2:

I know.

03:09:55 - 03:09:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, she still wants them to find a house. She still wants her money. So she.

03:10:00 - 03:10:02 | Speaker 3:

Of course, she's not going to get on there. Yeah, I'm doing it to your hands.

03:10:02 - 03:10:31 | Speaker 1:

I just think that this whole scenario is so glaringly obvious that something's off. Because when a couple is looking at houses, even if you both can't go to a showing or whatever, you at least know what's on the table. Do you know what I mean? You talk about this house and this house and this house. Okay, I can't make this showing. You go see if it's even us worth going. So, like, the whole thing that he's seeing houses secretly is just such a dead giveaway to me.

03:10:31 - 03:10:36 | Speaker 4:

Carla says that Paul isn't doing anything with the realtor. How do you know that, Carla?

03:10:36 - 03:10:40 | Speaker 3:

Yes. I am team Paul. First time, long time, guys.

03:10:40 - 03:10:47 | Speaker 2:

Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Okay, look. Wait, do that again. Do that again.

03:10:47 - 03:10:48 | Speaker 4:

One more time.

03:10:49 - 03:10:52 | Speaker 2:

Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.

03:10:53 - 03:10:55 | Speaker 4:

I wanted to hey, hey, hey my horn with you. Go ahead.

03:10:55 - 03:11:39 | Speaker 3:

You guys, Paul is being bamboozled here, okay? Because poor Paul was not expecting the call. When he did the voice card, the voice card is something that you would do, like, for your co-worker who bought you a Hot Pocket. I don't know. But I don't think for one minute that Paul is dating the realtor. I don't believe that his card was too, it was so general what he said, hey, thanks. And maybe he and this lady has this poor woman running up and down the street watching, looking at five and ten homes a day. So he's like, you know what? Thank you for not clunking out on us. Thank you. We've turned down a thousand homes and you stuck in with us. I think Paul is being bamboozled. Poor Paul. Poor Paul.

03:11:39 - 03:11:40 | Speaker 4:

Poor Paul.

03:11:41 - 03:11:42 | Speaker 3:

Have a great day, guys. Bye.

03:11:42 - 03:11:49 | Speaker 4:

We'll see you. War of the Roses. Listen to the podcast. If you missed it, you can go check it out right now. Search Mojo in the Morning on the iHeartRadio.

03:11:50 - 03:11:53 | Speaker 2:

This is the home of the War of the Roses.

03:11:53 - 03:12:38 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the morning. So really nice of the sales department. So I was off when I celebrated the 25th anniversary for iHeart. And they all got me these very nice cards and these great bottles of booze. I love that. Bottles of booze. And I had some balloons here in the studio. It's funny. I opened these cards randomly. I just randomly picked. And you know how the sales department will fight for who is my favorite? I picked them out this year. And I'm going to tell you that the last person I picked on down is my favorite through least favorite. Really? Would you like me to read them out?

03:12:39 - 03:12:41 | Speaker 1:

No. Yes. It makes me so uncomfortable. Please do not.

03:12:41 - 03:12:42 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

03:12:42 - 03:12:44 | Speaker 1:

It's been 25 years. What the hell?

03:12:44 - 03:14:59 | Speaker 4:

No. I know. It is funny. The best is that at least three of the salespeople said, your favorite, your favorite, your favorite in there. It's like children. You cannot pick a salesperson to be your favorite. Or do you just make them all feel like they're your favorite? No, I usually figure out which ones are my least. No. I don't know. This is a great group, by the way. This honestly is the best sales group that we've had. And I would say since the station went from Q95 to Channel 955. And I think a lot of it is the leadership of Colleen Grant and Kim Blockham, the dynamic duo that does such a great job. When I first started at the station, we had a sales department that was like, they were beasts. They would go and steal advertising from all the other stations. I mean, I was like, did you hear that Chevy dealership on there? Next thing you know, that Chevy dealership is no longer on there. It was great. Treacherous. I heard radio. I'm not going to lie to you. You know what? People think that people don't listen to radio anymore and they go through this whole thing. If you listen to this radio show and you're somebody that listens and you are a decision maker where you're the person that decides whether your company is going to market or do anything like that, have us just say hi to you on the radio and watch so many people hear that. It's because of the amount of people that hear the show every single day, the millions of people that listen to this radio show. And we don't just advertise to people in our communities here of Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Toledo. You can advertise to people all across the world because our podcasts have been blown up. So it's huge. Like that War of the Roses. That War of the Roses that we just did on our podcast in a week or so from now will have millions of listens. Because that's how many people listen to the War of the Roses. That's pretty freaking awesome. them. So advertise where you get that instead of, you know, a billboard on the side of the street that you can't even see at night. I see these billboards sometimes. This is weird. I'm driving in in the morning and there's like a husband and wife that have like their funeral home billboard up on the street. And the thing is, it's almost kind of weird. Like you can't see it because there's no light on it. It's dead. But I.

03:15:00 - 03:15:15 | Speaker 1:

It's right. Maybe that's the point. Maybe they don't want to be seen. But I'm like looking and going, that's a really bad billboard. But it's weird, though. I drive by it every single time. And every time that I'm driving, for some reason, I poke my head up. I guess maybe it is a good thing because I notice it all the time. But I notice that it's dark.

03:15:16 - 03:15:17 | Speaker 5:

I can't read everything.

03:15:17 - 03:15:47 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. It is so weird. All right. It's Mojo in the Morning Show. Good to have you guys here with us. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. my favorite thing in the world is during a commercial break to see Kevin out in the hallway FaceTiming one of his I don't know harem of ladies stop the cat do you guys ever pay attention to him when he's out there in the hallway

03:15:47 - 03:15:50 | Speaker 4:

I don't pay attention to him but I notice that that's what he's doing

03:15:50 - 03:16:21 | Speaker 2:

it's typically in the morning and it's my devotional partner no no no come on is it always her Yeah, it's devotion. Yeah, she does devotion early in the morning, and I participate. So what is devotion for those that are not as religious as you? I do believe them. So let me tell you this. So let me look at the devotion today. The devotion today was expecting promises of his presence, protection, and purpose as he works everything together for your good. And to remember to always have grace with yourself as you develop deeper spiritual readiness.

03:16:22 - 03:16:26 | Speaker 5:

Is this the girl that you're not on her list anymore, but you're like, okay, okay.

03:16:27 - 03:16:37 | Speaker 1:

So wait, so explain to me, your only relationship you have with her is the relationship of the Lord?

03:16:37 - 03:16:39 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Jesus Christ, my one.

03:16:39 - 03:16:46 | Speaker 1:

Wait, come on. You're not, so you're telling me that you have no other intentions? Because if you lie about that. Yeah, yeah, I never said that.

03:16:46 - 03:16:49 | Speaker 4:

He's been pretty clear and very upfront with this one.

03:16:49 - 03:16:58 | Speaker 2:

I do my best. I don't, lack of communication leads to imagination. and ask where things get muddy and crazy and ask where people get their feelings hurt.

03:16:58 - 03:17:02 | Speaker 1:

But wouldn't it be easier to just do it like after the show because it feels like you're calling her every commercial break?

03:17:03 - 03:17:04 | Speaker 2:

It works for us.

03:17:06 - 03:17:36 | Speaker 1:

Yes, it does work for you. It does. So what I would like to know from you, and I don't know if this is the case, would you go straight to hell if at any point any of this is just purely just to be naked with her in bed no no it's nothing because you can't lie about like i always say that you can't lie about something religious like if you're not if you're just trying to get

03:17:36 - 03:18:00 | Speaker 2:

a date with this girl you know what i mean like she's our she's already aware of my intentions um we both love the lord and that's one of our common grounds that we firmly stand on yeah i'm not that's one thing i will tell you and everybody in my life will tell you that the thing that i loathe the most is a liar the thing that will get under my skin more than anything in the world is a liar and i'm a firm believer of treat others the way you want to be treated so that's one thing i

03:18:00 - 03:18:21 | Speaker 1:

don't do is lie all right uh lydia this is it okay between you and kevin and you know looking for relationships you're gonna meet him at church that's where you're gonna meet you lydia do you look around like when you're at church because you go to lydia goes church like three days a week or does some kind of church activity like three days a week do you think that you uh any

03:18:21 - 03:18:44 | Speaker 3:

portion of that could be you meeting somebody at church no i just get in do my prayers get out and there's nobody cute there no they're cute like they're good looking but i'm not gonna shoot my shot in a pew you know aren't there activities though that aren't the service yeah and one says they have like a bible study afterwards but i never go bianca goes really and you go and do

03:18:44 - 03:18:47 | Speaker 1:

meet guys there? Are there guys that are part of that whole thing?

03:18:47 - 03:18:52 | Speaker 3:

I met a few. I've actually tried to set Lydia up with a couple, but she's not into it.

03:18:52 - 03:19:02 | Speaker 1:

But I've tried. I want to know if there are any listeners that are checking out the show that has ever met somebody through their religion. Like they met somebody through a church or something

03:19:02 - 03:19:10 | Speaker 5:

like that. Well, remember for the longest time Shrine in Royal Oak right there on Woodward had what everybody dubbed the ass mass. Oh, that's right. I forgot about that.

03:19:10 - 03:19:16 | Speaker 4:

When I was single and first moved here everybody told me to go to the Sunday night service, yes.

03:19:16 - 03:19:19 | Speaker 2:

There is nothing wrong with a Bible baddie.

03:19:19 - 03:19:29 | Speaker 1:

I remember that back then when you were talking about going to it, we talked to girls that literally met their relationships at that mass.

03:19:29 - 03:19:30 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, tons.

03:19:31 - 03:19:59 | Speaker 1:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 or text 95500. Does it also consider this? Somebody said, I met my fiance say, at my boss's wife's funeral, and they were there at the funeral at the same time. I guess that is, right? Because they're putting them, they're, that is kind of a weird place to meet somebody. Like, you ever go to a funeral service or a wake or something?

03:19:59 - 03:20:00 | Speaker 4:

We have somebody who met.

03:20:00 - 03:20:01 | Speaker 3:

her now husband at a funeral.

03:20:02 - 03:20:07 | Speaker 1:

Who? Gina. Oh, my God. I forgot about that. The queen and lady? No.

03:20:08 - 03:20:11 | Speaker 3:

I forgot about that. Am I right in that story?

03:20:12 - 03:20:14 | Speaker 1:

I think that their spouses both died, right?

03:20:14 - 03:20:17 | Speaker 3:

Or in like a grief counseling. I think it was a funeral.

03:20:17 - 03:20:22 | Speaker 1:

She's on vacation right now. Otherwise, I would call her. She sent me a text yesterday

03:20:22 - 03:20:24 | Speaker 3:

about Joe. She would answer your

03:20:24 - 03:20:26 | Speaker 1:

phone call. Okay, hold on a second. Hold on.

03:20:26 - 03:20:31 | Speaker 3:

Is she in spring break in Punta Cana? She's the nicest woman in the world.

03:20:31 - 03:21:27 | Speaker 1:

What'd she say? She sent me a text not that long ago, and the text was something to the extent of, yeah, she said, I literally met my husband at his wife's funeral. Yeah. Yeah. Isn't that crazy? Yeah. Gina Callen. I love Gina. Text her here. Another texter at 95500 says that they're part of a Bible group for their mental health, but also to try to see if they can meet somebody that's nice. that's that's kind of a cool thing because you got somebody that you at least know but i wonder if say like zach for instance not that i don't think zach has got any kind of religion in his life i don't know zach because i know you work here all the time and you work hard i never have talked religion with you but what if zach went to one and lied about his intentions and he was only trying to go there to take it uh what he said did you hear what he said no here come in

03:21:27 - 03:21:36 | Speaker 2:

It's very faint. I feel like that's the same type of situation. You go to an AA meeting just to, you know what I mean? Just to hook up with people.

03:21:36 - 03:21:45 | Speaker 1:

And you fake that you have an alcoholic. Zach, tell everybody what you've told me in my ears. Should I do that for socials?

03:21:46 - 03:21:48 | Speaker 2:

Anything for the show, Zach. You're terrible.

03:21:49 - 03:21:54 | Speaker 1:

Do you know that they're all going to church bingo tonight? I got bowling. So you got bowling.

03:21:55 - 03:21:56 | Speaker 3:

It's not church bingo.

03:21:57 - 03:22:00 | Speaker 1:

What is it? Isn't it a regular bingo? I thought it was at a church.

03:22:00 - 03:22:02 | Speaker 3:

No, but it all goes to charity.

03:22:02 - 03:22:03 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay.

03:22:03 - 03:22:03 | Speaker 5:

Which I love.

03:22:04 - 03:22:06 | Speaker 1:

Wink, wink. What's going on, Janice? How you doing?

03:22:07 - 03:22:09 | Speaker 5:

Hey, good morning. I'm great.

03:22:09 - 03:22:12 | Speaker 1:

You met your husband through church?

03:22:13 - 03:22:19 | Speaker 5:

Yep. We went to church camp together. I was 15. He was 17. And we've been married 46 years this year.

03:22:20 - 03:22:25 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. Wait, so you guys saw each other for the first time. You didn't fool around at church camp because that would be really bad.

03:22:26 - 03:22:28 | Speaker 5:

We kissed at church camp.

03:22:28 - 03:22:29 | Speaker 1:

Did you? Really? Okay.

03:22:30 - 03:22:34 | Speaker 5:

And I kissed him first. If I would have waited for him, we wouldn't be married today, but I kissed him first.

03:22:34 - 03:22:38 | Speaker 1:

That's cool, though, that many years later that you guys have been together.

03:22:38 - 03:22:38 | Speaker 5:

Yes.

03:22:39 - 03:22:41 | Speaker 1:

Listen to this. Hannah, are you there?

03:22:43 - 03:22:44 | Speaker 6:

Yep, I'm here.

03:22:44 - 03:22:46 | Speaker 1:

Hi, we're talking about meeting through your religion. What happened?

03:22:48 - 03:22:51 | Speaker 6:

So I met my husband through a Shiva house.

03:22:51 - 03:22:52 | Speaker 1:

A Shiva?

03:22:52 - 03:23:11 | Speaker 6:

After someone, yeah, a Shiva. So after someone dies in the Jewish religion, they have seven days of mourning. And then people come in, meet Sam, come condone the family. And I met the nephew of the person who died.

03:23:11 - 03:23:19 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. Wait a second. Your intentions were good, though, right? You weren't going there for the only reason of meeting somebody. Okay.

03:23:20 - 03:23:26 | Speaker 6:

No, I was very good friends with his cousins. And how do you make the first move in that situation?

03:23:26 - 03:23:28 | Speaker 1:

Get a phone number? Is it weird to get a phone number?

03:23:30 - 03:23:47 | Speaker 6:

So he actually asked his cousin for my number. And then after the seven days, he texted me. I told him, yeah, I'm not interested. And then we ended up kept on talking. And then since then, it just, it went from there.

03:23:47 - 03:23:48 | Speaker 2:

Wow.

03:23:48 - 03:23:51 | Speaker 6:

I told him like that first text. I'm like, yeah, you're not my type.

03:23:51 - 03:24:10 | Speaker 1:

but sorry for your loss you know what's great though um it's great i love being catholic because i don't i only have to go to like one funeral mass being jewish the seven days of shiva is a that's a commitment like i they're i mean they're already dead for gosh sakes but i

03:24:10 - 03:24:18 | Speaker 3:

that's a long time um lydia aren't chaldeans that same way don't you mourn for a year yeah uh we do

03:24:18 - 03:24:36 | Speaker 4:

for about a year we were black but for the first 40 days it's like wait a second nobody can get married that's the reason why all chaldeans are wearing black yep that's why you wear black you wear black for a whole year but for mostly no celebrations they're not as close yep no celebrations no weddings birthdays anniversaries nothing for a year crazy yeah i always thought

03:24:36 - 03:25:00 | Speaker 1:

that chaldean guys just wore black polo shirts all the time just because they wear black polo shirts i didn't realize they were morning what's going on jordan hey yeah first time long time Hey, buddy. Join on the phone. Listened to you guys for years, but I actually met my wife in youth group when we were both in high school. She was a couple years younger than me. We went putt-putting together. We didn't end up dating for...

03:26:22 - 03:26:41 | Speaker 8:

I am flying, but my son is driving me to the airport right now, but I'm the first time long. Hey, baby. What are you doing down in Tampa? My girlfriend lives right outside of Tampa, and I'm going down to visit with her for the next five or six days.

03:26:41 - 03:26:52 | Speaker 5:

You see what the weather's going to be like? We're supposed to get really cold and snow again, they're saying, like later this week. You're going to have great weather. I think you're going to have, like, sunny and 80s.

03:26:53 - 03:27:07 | Speaker 8:

Yes. I'm going to come back with some colors, so I'm so happy, but I wanted to call and say hi to you guys. I listen to you every day when I'm at work in the morning, and I want to call in, and I never can, and I can now because I'm driving. I love it.

03:27:08 - 03:27:12 | Speaker 5:

Your son is a great guy. To drop you off at the airport, I would have made you take an Uber.

03:27:13 - 03:27:16 | Speaker 8:

Well, thank you, Mojo, and he sure is. I love him to death.

03:27:17 - 03:27:20 | Speaker 5:

What's his name? Are we having a party at mom's house while she's gone?

03:27:21 - 03:27:24 | Speaker 8:

His name is Arturo, and no, we are not.

03:27:24 - 03:27:33 | Speaker 5:

Have the best time, and if you run into Joe Jett or Ashley or Terry, tell them that we all said hi, and congratulations to Joe.

03:27:33 - 03:27:35 | Speaker 8:

I sure will. Bye, you guys. Bye-bye.

03:27:35 - 03:27:37 | Speaker 5:

We'll see you. See you tomorrow, guys. Bye.

This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

03:29:09 - 03:29:54 | Speaker 6:

My name is Metarica, Terry LaMille, and my major is general education. Some of the obstacles I have overcame at Bishop State is proving that I can show up consistently even when my life was heavy. There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school, but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection, that I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday. My peers can depend on me. I'm there being poured into, But some of those students don't know that the faculty and staff are really there for them. So when they don't know that, I'm their resource that explain and show them that they're here to help us.
