00:02:57 - 00:04:44 | Speaker 5:

Good morning and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. It's good to have you guys with us today. It's International Women's Day We've got some things planned for that Which, by the way, I always find it to be so funny Whenever they'll say, it's International Women's Day Like, shouldn't every day be International Women's Day Instead of just one particular day on a Wednesday in March And I know that that is something that every single day Or every month with Black History Month We always sit there and say, like, why is it that it's just one month out of the year? But we we will recognize the great women in all of our lives. And I think that we have some great women on this radio show, Shannon and Megan, KP, Lydia. It's good to have a radio program with incredible women who influence not only our listening audience, but influence every single person that works on this radio station. And show So nice to have you guys here I do find it kind of funny though That We will say Alright it's International Women's Day And I just saw the schedule today Megan's going to be on 92.5 KISS FM for the entire day today So you'll be on a chance to hear Megan's voice for the entire day today

00:04:44 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 2:

I'm excited but I am A little bit stressed I have three Red Bulls in the room already It's Women's Day

00:04:50 - 00:04:57 | Speaker 5:

It is ironic. I mean, we're glad to celebrate your voice, but they're making you work a lot more.

00:04:58 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 2:

To be fair, the YWC. The SCA, which is the women's shelter here, is coming in, and they're doing it with me. Oh, good.

00:05:04 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 1:

So you're able to use the platform. Exactly. Nice. Exactly.

00:05:09 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 2:

All right. It's Mojo in the Morning Show. Good stuff on today's program. It's Wednesday, which means five lies to tell your mom. And since we did five lies to tell your – or I'm sorry, six on sex yesterday with a grandma, we're going to do five lies to tell your mom with a grandma today, too, because we were having a conversation with Frankie about doing Five Lies to Tell Your Mom, and he said, I think my grandma would be better to do. And she is an ethnic grandma with, let me just put it this way, one of the cutest accents you'll ever hear ever. So I'm not going to say exactly what ethnicity she is until you hear it. You're going to want to hug her. Yeah, but his name is Frankie. So I think that might tell you right there. So Frankie. Phone scams, senseless surveys, and lots of good giveaways today, including your chance to see Taylor Swift coming up here in just a matter of moments. All right, it is Mojo in the Morning, Home of the Phone Scams, The War of the Roses, The Dirty on the 30. And we've had Rebecca on with us before. Rebecca Rosen, she's the lady that will talk to dead people. We might have to call her up on this one.

00:06:21 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 1:

I actually would love to.

00:06:23 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 2:

You are, you're being followed, Shannon, by the dead.

00:06:28 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 1:

I'm finding dimes. So do you guys believe in signs from people who have passed? Oh, yeah. I thought you said science. Science. Do you believe in science? Oh, science, no. Science. And the reason I say this is because Wes, my fiance, Wes's mom, passed away years ago, a couple of years ago from cancer. And when she did, he started finding dimes everywhere, especially in situations where he felt like, you know, he wished he had his mom for some guidance or assurance, advice, whatever. And he would look down and lo and behold, there would be a dime. And to me, whenever he sends me a text message and it's just a picture of a dime, it's so crazy where and when they appear. Well, it started happening to me as well, which he loves because he's always taken it as his sign that his mom approves of me. And he has this glass table in the entrance to his house where he puts all of the dimes in once he finds them, once we find them now, so we can see them and just keep them and stuff. but I just I thought it was so cool I found one yesterday and I'm like oh I wonder if anybody else has signs that they you know they like to pay attention to. Do you ever

00:07:47 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 2:

wish that it was $20 bills?

00:07:49 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Yes. Give me a sign. Park a luxury car by driveway if you still love me.

00:08:00 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

She was a simple lady. well our sign is and if it wasn't that it's you know really early in chicago right now because they're an hour uh earlier than us i'd call pat my sister pat but my sister pat and uh in my brothers uh uh bill and tony and my sister tracy and my sister mary joe have all and rebecca told us initially what this was got both of my parents coming to us my mom is a dove and my dad is a cardinal and so i know cardinal is a popular one so red cardinal has been on my sister pat's back deck for weeks now it's the middle of winter this is craziness and i know we've had a mild winter it hasn't been that that bad and there's been birds that you'd probably be like why are those birds still here they shouldn't shouldn't they have gone down with all the old people to florida But she's had this cardinal that has been there And the wildest thing is The cardinal, she'll walk up to the window She'll tap the window like this And the bird will turn around And just sit there and stare at her for a while And that's my dad And the craziest part about that is That we've had the same thing too on our back Porch too with my dad Or with this bird I don't know if it's the same one I'd like to think it is That it is my dad But it's weird because my dad used to My sister Pat and my dad Every day would be together She'd go visit him or he'd go visit her Because they lived very close to each other And my sister Pat said that The wildest part of it is Similar times to when they would go visit each other Is that not the weirdest? Because Pat would always, she was a school teacher She would get off from school, she'd get there She'd be like four or something in the afternoon And sure as spit My dad, yeah So it's been kind of weird. I love that. It gives me chills. Yeah, isn't that cool? Yeah. So yeah, I believe in science. How weird or wild is this and maybe very comforting is this.

00:10:00 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 5:

that here you are new in Wes's life, and you're seeing dimes now. So she's sending you a message, too.

00:10:06 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 1:

And honestly, like, okay, you could find dimes everywhere, but it is in really kind of crazy situations. Like, one example that comes to mind is for his birthday, you guys know my obsession with balloons. So I had gone to Party City, and I was, like, ordering him all these balloons, and I went to pick them up, and just, like, right there on the counter was a dime with the year that she died on it. Wow. And I texted Wes. I'm like, how crazy is this? I'm picking up balloons for you for your birthday right there. Like, just little things like that. But it is comforting and reassuring, you know?

00:10:38 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 5:

And you know what? On that day, that would be the, you know. That would be the day she'd want to send a message. Mojo in the morning. Is this a bunch of hooey, Tiffany, or do you believe in this?

00:10:51 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 3:

No, I totally believe in it. And I'm trying not to be emotional, you guys. I'm actually the intuitive that Talked to you guys a couple weeks Ago Shannon when you found Or you did the oracle reading

00:11:03 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 5:

Yeah wait you were the one That wouldn't give us a free reading Exactly I remember you

00:11:09 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 3:

My mom comes to me through music All the time and I mean Like random songs that you Would never hear at like The lobby of a restaurant Or something will just come on And, like, it is a beautiful reminder because music was our thing. Like, we used to ride around harmonizing with each other every day. And I miss her tremendously. So to be able to receive a message like that and know that she's close by is everything to me. And Shannon, I think it's so special that Wes's mom is like, I love you for him. You know, because that's what that says to me. She's like, I love you. So I genuinely, you have my blessing, essentially, and I think that's beautiful.

00:11:55 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 5:

That is cool. Now, Shannon starts losing dimes. Hold on a second. Shannon just did one of those airport airline mini bottles of booze. You just did a shot of, what is that?

00:12:09 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 1:

It's like immunity in the thing.

00:12:10 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I thought she did a mini Tito's bottle or something.

00:12:14 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 1:

It's a sign whenever Shannon starts drinking in the first minutes of the morning.

00:12:18 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 5:

That comes from Shannie's granny

00:12:21 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 1:

It sure does

00:12:22 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 5:

She just sent her a mini bottle Anisha, what's going on?

00:12:27 - 00:12:53 | Speaker 2:

Hey, so My dad passed away years ago But before he passed away We would ask him for money and he would always give us a dollar So when he passed away And I was going to the cemetery I went to the cemetery to visit him And on my way to the car to get some tools to Clean the grave, I had found a dollar And so I took that as a sign And I put it in my hoodie, and when I got home, I went to go take the dollar out, and it was gone.

00:12:54 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 5:

Whoa. Wow.

00:12:56 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 2:

It was like I never even got it, but I thought that that was a sign from him, the dollar, because he always gave us a dollar when we wanted money.

00:13:04 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 1:

Yep.

00:13:05 - 00:13:08 | Speaker 5:

That's cool. Yeah, that's awesome. What's up, Stacy?

00:13:10 - 00:13:11 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. Good morning.

00:13:12 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 5:

Stacy, what's the sign that you got from a loved one that passed?

00:13:17 - 00:13:38 | Speaker 4:

So my stepdad passed away about three years ago unexpectedly, and he used to smoke pot back in the day. And I used to live with my mom, and I asked her, I'm like, Mom, I smell pot. And she's like, I don't smell it at all. And I would tell her, I'm like, man, it's weird. I would smell pot randomly around the house. And she's like, maybe it's a sign from Neil saying hi.

00:13:40 - 00:14:00 | Speaker 5:

I see. I sense Neil outside the strip mall by my house about every Tuesday. I go to the movie theater. Well, that's awesome, Stacey. That's cool. Thank you. Thank you for the call. I appreciate it.

00:14:01 - 00:14:09 | Speaker 4:

Thank you. Have a good morning. Such a jerk. How do you have to do this? Do a club.

00:14:12 - 00:14:21 | Speaker 2:

How smart are you? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events, and you tell us what year it happened.

00:14:21 - 00:14:25 | Speaker 5:

This was the year that the Boston Celtics won the NBA championship.

00:14:25 - 00:14:29 | Speaker 3:

The first Celtic championship since 1986.

00:14:31 - 00:14:58 | Speaker 5:

An Iraqi journalist threw not one, but two shoes at President George W. Bush. While he was doing a press conference, Bush was okay. and the Jonas Brothers. This might give it away. Burning Up was the number one song on the radio. What year was it?

00:15:00 - 00:15:02 | Speaker 3:

I'll learn now with you, baby.

00:15:03 - 00:15:19 | Speaker 2:

Prove what a big brain you have. Tell us when that stuff happened. Call us at 844-MOJO-LIVE to tell us. 844-665-6548. It's Mojo in the mornings, back in the day. We give you clues. You tell us the year. We give you cool prizes.

00:15:20 - 00:15:22 | Speaker 1:

Boston Celtics won the championship this year.

00:15:22 - 00:15:26 | Speaker 2:

Boston Celtics championship since 1986.

00:15:26 - 00:15:42 | Speaker 1:

An Iraqi journalist threw a shoe at President Bush. Actual audio of that. And Burning Up was the big song. Jonas Brothers. Melissa, what year was that?

00:15:43 - 00:15:44 | Speaker 2:

It was 2008.

00:15:44 - 00:15:46 | Speaker 1:

It was. Congratulations.

00:15:47 - 00:15:48 | Speaker 2:

Thanks so much.

00:15:48 - 00:15:49 | Speaker 1:

What gave it away?

00:15:50 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 3:

It was the shoe throwing, actually.

00:15:53 - 00:16:57 | Speaker 1:

The shoe. Yeah. Yeah, by the way, he had good reflexes. He was able to duck off from that. Congratulations. We're going to set you up with tickets. Celebrating 313-Day, Detroit Day, which, by the way, I just talked to a cell phone carrier guy who said that they had a big meeting about that, about the fact that there's no more 313 area codes. And the biggest fear that consumers have right now that have a 313 area code is that they're going to lose it. you're not going to lose it. Everybody, for some reason, had this belief because there was some kind of a thing that was on TikTok that they were going to take away people's 313. But you got a pair of tickets to Piston's 313 day celebration at Little Caesars Arena, plus a $50 gift card to the Melting Pot. Make it a date night to remember Thursdays with Thursday at Melting Pot. Experience a romantic four-course dinner and a great feature of the chocolate fondue. You can get rose petals and candles sent to your table. Make reservations at MeltingPot.com. Congratulations.

00:16:59 - 00:17:00 | Speaker 3:

Thank you so much. Sounds amazing.

00:17:00 - 00:17:03 | Speaker 1:

Have a great time. Enjoy. And it's nice to talk to you.

00:17:03 - 00:17:04 | Speaker 3:

See you too. Bye-bye.

00:17:05 - 00:17:44 | Speaker 1:

All right. We're going to give Taylor Swift tickets away. We're going to do the dirty. We've got the five at 6.55 all coming up here in just like the next 20 minutes. So don't go anywhere. First off, Taylor Tickets, text SWIFT right now, SWIFT, to 95500 for a chance to win. Text SWIFT to 95500, and you could be going to see Taylor Swift in June. Standard text and data rates do apply. We'll have another shot for you coming up after 9 o'clock this morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Right now, let's get you caught up on what's trending in the Dirty on the 30. Shannon, what you got this morning?

00:17:44 - 00:19:08 | Speaker 3:

Well, Vanderpump Rules star Raquel Levis filed for a temporary restraining order against her former friend and co-star Sheena Shea after getting backlash over her affair with Tom Sandoval. We are calling this the Scandoval. And if you don't watch Vanderpump Rules, I'm sorry, because this is like all over the place right now, this story. Well, here's what happened in this specific situation. Allegedly, Sheena and Raquel got into this heated confrontation outside of a bar last week when Tom's girlfriend, now ex-girlfriend, Ariana, found sexually explicit photos and videos on his phone. While Sheena has been very outspoken about being on Team Ariana, Raquel has kept her mouth shut in the midst of all of the drama despite threatening to sue some of her Vanderpump Rules co-stars. Raquel had her attorney send a legal letter to all of her fellow cast members asking them to delete the intimate photos and videos of her that was found on Tom's phone. Because, of course, once one person saw the video in particular, it got sent around to everybody. She asked them to stop sharing the video, claiming it was recorded illegally without her knowledge or consent. And I believe it was a FaceTime that was recorded, and it was between just her and Tom. So I don't know if there was somebody else that was there and saw it happening or if it was him. I don't know that detail, but I'll be it.

00:19:08 - 00:19:10 | Speaker 1:

The necklace thing yesterday that you brought up was interesting.

00:19:11 - 00:19:11 | Speaker 3:

Oh, the lighting bolt necklace?

00:19:12 - 00:19:36 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, because we got a couple of War of the Roses submissions recently. And by the way, if you ever think that your significant other is cheating on you, text cheater to 95500. But it was from the fact that he started or she started wearing something or doing something, and then another person that they suspected that they were fooling around with did the same thing. And a lot of it was matchy-matchy-matchy-matchy, exactly.

00:19:37 - 00:19:49 | Speaker 3:

August Elsina, you might remember that name as the singer who was the other half of Jada Pinkett Smith's Entanglement. Well, he watched Chris Rock's comedy special, and he thought it was funny.

00:19:50 - 00:19:56 | Speaker 2:

For people that don't know what everybody knows, Will and his wife was f***ing her son's friend, okay?

00:19:56 - 00:19:57 | Speaker 3:

That's him.

00:19:57 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 2:

Now, I normally...

00:20:00 - 00:21:25 | Speaker 1:

would not talk about this. But for some reason, these put that on the Internet. A friend said August thought it was not only funny, but hey, it was truthful. The friend said a lot of people spoke out against August, so he was happy to see that Chris Rock seemed to be advocating for the truth and not just making a joke. Cincinnati Bengals running back, Joe Mixon's home, was connected to a shooting that sent a high school student to the hospital late Monday evening. Deputies responded to a report of Shots fired and said that one juvenile was taken to the hospital with only minor injuries. Thankfully, the student is okay and at home this morning. But the details here are fuzzy. They are still investigating. It's unclear if the shooting actually took place at Joe Mixon's home and whether he was there if and when it did. The sheriff's office simply said a home connected to Bengals player Joe Mixon was part of the crime scene. I saw they did have a search warrant and were going through his house. yesterday. And a teacher named Jack Farley was shopping at a total wine store in Dallas, Texas over the weekend, okay, when she ran into Mark Wahlberg, who just so happened to be in town for a bottle signing to promote his new tequila brand. It's called like Flecha Azul or something, I think. So, of course, Mrs. Farley wants to be a cool teacher. She asked Mark if he would do a video for her class, and he did.

00:21:26 - 00:21:30 | Speaker 5:

I'm here with Mrs. Farley. She's got a little stress-related.

00:21:30 - 00:21:31 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God, don't tell them that.

00:21:32 - 00:21:38 | Speaker 5:

I'm here with Mrs. Farley. She's getting water and juice and Gatorade.

00:21:39 - 00:21:55 | Speaker 1:

She had a whole bunch of alcohol as well. But she pushed that out of the video. Yeah, she was talking. Pretty cool. He's a nice guy. We talked to him. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty Paves. I'm LegendTheWonning.com.

00:21:58 - 00:22:07 | Speaker 4:

All right, it is Mojo in the morning show.

00:22:07 - 00:22:33 | Speaker 2:

We're going to do a senseless survey. And then this morning's five lies to tell your mom, which you'll hear just after 7 o'clock, worth sticking around for. Five lies to tell your grandma is what we're going to be doing today. So we'll get to that. And it's very, very funny. He's going to tell Grandma that he took some money from her to go to the strip club. So get ready for it. It's Mojo in the Morning Senseless Survey time.

00:22:34 - 00:22:40 | Speaker 4:

It's time for an official government survey. It's Mojo in the Morning Senseless Survey.

00:22:44 - 00:22:59 | Speaker 5:

Hello? Hello, this is Mr. Dabalina calling from the U.S. Senseless Bureau. And we got your census form in the mail. We just had three follow-up questions, if you have about 30 seconds. What do you make of America's youth flocking to Cleveland, Ohio as the next big hotspot spring break destination?

00:23:00 - 00:23:03 | Speaker 6:

I don't know. I haven't kept up with that.

00:23:04 - 00:23:06 | Speaker 5:

And have you gotten your vaccinations against March Madness yet?

00:23:08 - 00:23:09 | Speaker 6:

No, not that I know of.

00:23:09 - 00:23:15 | Speaker 5:

Okay. And have you decided which room in your home you'll puke into on St. Patrick's Day yet, or are you just going to stick to the backseat of the car?

00:23:16 - 00:23:19 | Speaker 6:

To be honest, I'd rather not even answer that.

00:23:19 - 00:23:32 | Speaker 5:

Who will you be taking to prom this year? i won't be taking anybody's prime and what's the most you'd spend on a pair of boxer shorts how many more of these i got i've uh two left and then we'll get out of your uh out of your

00:23:32 - 00:23:44 | Speaker 6:

hair and when's the last time you had a pillow fight i don't recall ever having a pillow fight really not except for teenagers maybe oh okay would you report a family member to the police

00:23:44 - 00:23:51 | Speaker 5:

if you knew they had committed a crime yes and then we'll just go back to uh you know i i

00:23:51 - 00:23:54 | Speaker 6:

I'm finished with this. I've had enough of this. Okay.

00:23:54 - 00:23:56 | Speaker 5:

Well, you're not really. We still have about 40 questions to go.

00:23:56 - 00:23:58 | Speaker 6:

Well, I'm sorry. You have to ask someone else.

00:23:59 - 00:24:00 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Well, we'll just get to the...

00:24:00 - 00:24:11 | Speaker 3:

That's all you're getting out of her. Okay. It is the senseless survey with Mr. Bob Dabalina.

00:24:13 - 00:24:19 | Speaker 4:

Check it out. Want more senseless surveys? Hear endless podcasts at mojointhemorning.com.

00:24:21 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning, celebrating St. Patrick's Day. And I know that it's not until next week, but I want to get you guys to put this on your calendar. Friday, St. Patrick's Day. Yeah, isn't that great? It falls on a Friday. We're going to be at Kennedy's Irish Pub celebrating their 50th anniversary. That is in Waterford, Michigan. It's off of Telegraph Road, like Telegraph Hall Road there. Actually, they don't call it Hall Road in that area. Yeah, they call it, I think they call it, like, Telegraph there. I'm trying to think. It's like Telegraph Orchard Lake Road. It's, like, weird how that road gets.

00:25:00 - 00:25:35 | Speaker 1:

12 different names, depending on what part of town you are in. And then we are going to be on Ionia. One name for that, Irish and Ionia in Grand Rapids on Saturday, celebrating it. And everybody is invited to both of these great events. I will tell you this, that it's going to be rather a tight squeeze at Kennedy's Irish Pub on Friday. So that's why Irish and Ionia is perfect, because, I don't know, I think that in max capacity, Mike, we've had well over 20,000 beautiful listeners out at that, right?

00:25:35 - 00:25:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, because they take over basically all of Ionia Street right in downtown Grand Rapids, right? Like in the heart of the city. It'll be packed.

00:25:43 - 00:26:17 | Speaker 1:

It is going to be so much fun. And you know what? We got so much planned for you both, you know, days. I mean, obviously, we're going to do the potty of gold like we've always done on St. Patrick's Day and give away some really good prizes. but irish on ionia holy cow the irish dancers the bands the performers djs i mean it is one big freaking party it starts with kegs and eggs in the morning hosted by the slightly messy podcast with mike and megan and of course schmitty doing a live uh remote on 104.5 snx yeah that's right

00:26:17 - 00:26:27 | Speaker 2:

in the grand rapids brewing company so it's like the north end like right in the gate the the gate you walk in basically uh we're taking over that entire bar at 8 a.m there's booze there's food

00:26:27 - 00:27:21 | Speaker 1:

there's games we got we're gonna have vip we're gonna give away too man oh man and the uh cool thing is there are tickets available still irish on ionia.com slash 2023 uh i you know look at the the day and what the day is going to entail and i think that you guys are going to love it and by the way if you're an uber or lyft driver let's get downtown that day or let's let's get Let's get active. And if you're one that does, like, if you work at Uber or Lyft, like, say, in Lansing or Detroit or wherever, go to West Michigan. You'll make money that day. Make sure that you go there. Turn on that freaking app and get ready to make some cash because I'm not going to lie to you guys. You know, we're going to make sure that we keep those streets, you know, clean of anybody that's been drinking. So everybody's going to want to be taking the ride shares. All right.

00:37:28 - 00:37:29 | Speaker 3:

Because he paid me to do it.

00:37:29 - 00:37:45 | Speaker 4:

Why did you put the boobie in Frankie's face? Because I'm trying to pay for college. Oh, really? So is it. Well, he made it rain with pennies,

00:37:45 - 00:37:47 | Speaker 3:

00:37:52 - 00:38:08 | Speaker 2:

00:39:09 - 00:39:11 | Speaker 5:

I love you, Nona.

00:39:11 - 00:39:18 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Nona, now that we know it's all a joke, how about we all come over, you make us some gnocchis and some homemade sauce? For sure. Oh, yeah.

00:39:18 - 00:39:20 | Speaker 4:

You can come anytime.

00:39:20 - 00:39:23 | Speaker 1:

00:39:25 - 00:39:29 | Speaker 4:

All you got to do is tell me when you come in, I'm making gnocchi and pressure sauce.

00:39:30 - 00:39:35 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Grandma, we are going to give you a huge prize for being on the radio with us this morning.

00:39:35 - 00:39:39 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. Are you bullshitting me?

00:39:40 - 00:39:43 | Speaker 2:

We are not. We would never do that to you, Grandma.

00:39:44 - 00:39:52 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. Now, Grandma, you've got to promise us one thing. What? You can't tip the waiters with pennies.

00:39:53 - 00:39:55 | Speaker 4:

Did you really took my pennies?

00:39:56 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 2:

No. It's all going to be taken care of. You're going to be all right.

00:40:00 - 00:40:08 | Speaker 4:

okay it's mojo in the morning sweet five lies to tell your mama

00:40:08 - 00:40:28 | Speaker 2:

mojo in the morning so we'll title this one uh the dog ate my homework or

00:40:28 - 00:40:34 | Speaker 1:

or bigger than my homework my nephew was telling me yesterday about how his dog

00:40:34 - 00:40:42 | Speaker 2:

ate an entire basketball oh my god like an inflated basketball like did it well it started

00:40:42 - 00:41:30 | Speaker 1:

inflated because that was my thought like i'm not sure how he did that but then you realize well once he bit into it and punctured it it deflated and he started chewing on it tearing it into pieces like rawhide ate an entire basketball pooped it out and uh in segments and i just thought oh my gosh we got to do this as a topic you got that on tiktok by the way that would be like a million i know that's what i said i said did you record it because could have got him an endorsement deal with wilson or the nba or something wow but i know we're gonna get a lot calls from listeners whose dogs ate the craziest stuff because we see it all the time we haven't i mean we just we're talking about this news story that aviva insurance company put out where they get over 4 000 insurance claims a year from accidental damage from quote unquote the dog ate

00:41:30 - 00:41:36 | Speaker 2:

it and uh it's amazing you can actually put that on your like homeowner's insurance if the dog ate

00:41:36 - 00:42:09 | Speaker 1:

something yeah so it depends on what it is but if like there there's been incidences of dogs eating laptops uh hearing aids is a big one jewelry and hearing aids for some reason i don't know i think I think it's the scent of the human that was wearing the hearing aid or the jewelry makes them eat it. Wallets. Maybe that's like the basketball where it's that leather consistency and it's made of an animal. So maybe. But this insurance company also dogs have eaten wedding rings, shoes.

00:42:10 - 00:42:16 | Speaker 2:

My dogs. So, by the way, today is Louie's birthday. Louie is nine today. So happy ninth birthday to Louie.

00:42:16 - 00:42:17 | Speaker 3:

Are you going to have a puppy party?

00:42:18 - 00:42:38 | Speaker 2:

Thank God I think that we're busy. No, Chelsea will definitely do something for Louie because Louie's her favorite. But my dogs love these, and my neighbor got them for them. They're like stuffed animals, but they're specially made for dogs. And they just go to town with it. Oh, yeah. And they go crazy on them.

00:42:38 - 00:42:42 | Speaker 3:

Do they have those really soft little stringy, is that the texture of them?

00:42:42 - 00:42:48 | Speaker 2:

No, honestly, they look like humans. I don't know.

00:42:48 - 00:42:49 | Speaker 3:

They look like human stuffed animals.

00:42:50 - 00:42:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, like human stuffed animals. Yeah. And the dogs just go to town with them. But it's wild. She found this brand that the dogs cannot really bite and rip into.

00:42:58 - 00:43:13 | Speaker 1:

We had to get that for Dublin, too. It's tough like Teflon because it's amazing that there's something about certain breeds of dog have those little sharp canine teeth that will just find the stitches and figure out a way to break anything open, no matter how destructive proof it's supposed to be.

00:43:13 - 00:43:33 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 I'd love to not only hear some of your stories but I'd like to hear the crazy ones and I'd like to know if people had to wait through to see if the dog passed it you know like stuff like the jewelry like what do you do Patrice

00:43:33 - 00:43:35 | Speaker 4:

yep I'm here

00:43:35 - 00:43:37 | Speaker 2:

speaking of jewelry what did the dog eat

00:43:37 - 00:43:47 | Speaker 4:

he ate his owner's wedding ring they were playing toss And the weed fell off his finger And the dog caught it and swallowed it

00:43:47 - 00:43:48 | Speaker 1:

Oh my gosh

00:43:48 - 00:43:51 | Speaker 3:

That's a monitor the poop situation right there

00:43:51 - 00:43:56 | Speaker 4:

Oh yeah we took an x-ray And you could see the ring He had to monitor the poop

00:43:56 - 00:43:59 | Speaker 2:

Do you work in a vet's office?

00:44:00 - 00:44:01 | Speaker 4:

Yeah I work in a veterinary hospital

00:44:01 - 00:44:06 | Speaker 2:

Oh my gosh Did the ring come in Clara's spit?

00:44:07 - 00:44:09 | Speaker 4:

Oh it was clear You knew it was a ring

00:44:09 - 00:44:10 | Speaker 2:

That's wild

00:44:10 - 00:44:13 | Speaker 4:

It would, initially, that would sound like...

00:44:13 - 00:44:20 | Speaker 1:

It would sound like a big excuse, right, if you caught your husband not wearing his ring and he said, oh, the dog ate it.

00:44:22 - 00:44:25 | Speaker 2:

Taylor, this is a very popular item that the dogs like to eat.

00:44:27 - 00:44:32 | Speaker 4:

Hi, yeah, my boyfriend's dog likes to chew the crotch out of all of my underwear that he can get a hold of.

00:44:32 - 00:44:39 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's so popular with dogs doing that. I mean, obviously, it's something to it, but you've got to hide that.

00:44:39 - 00:44:43 | Speaker 4:

Dogs love – Is it because it's a male dog and it's not fixed? I don't know.

00:44:43 - 00:45:04 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, my sister's dog is Lab Mix, and he – I was there the other day, and he was eating tampons. Oh, man. Like, there's something about – But I say that because there's something about, like, the female – human female scent so it's never the granny paintings right it's always the expensive

00:45:04 - 00:45:08 | Speaker 6:

right true oh yeah it's a nice kelvin klein

00:45:08 - 00:45:17 | Speaker 4:

uh katie what did your dog eat um a wooden door frame oh my gosh like the entire wooden door frame

00:45:17 - 00:45:54 | Speaker 2:

or just like start biting on um about 12 inches of it was destroyed and about five inches was actually digested so um my old house that i had had a the living room was an add-on it used to be a garage so there was like a big like like a patio door really that led to my living room from my laundry room and i shut that door because she would also eat my couch and um i shut that door and she really wanted to get in that room one day and started to eat the door frame right off the

00:45:54 - 00:46:00 | Speaker 4:

wall oh my goodness our dogs used to scratch at the doors like it you know the bottoms of the

00:46:00 - 00:46:15 | Speaker 2:

doors yeah no she was gonna eat the whole thing wide open and then i did have um a different dog actually the the cage the metal cages she bit onto that so hard she ripped a hole through it

00:46:15 - 00:46:24 | Speaker 4:

oh my god dang well uh what's up uh this is a not one that you want to see your dog eat rocky What did your dog eat?

00:46:25 - 00:47:12 | Speaker 5:

My dog ate my dentures. Really? Yeah. And I woke up one morning, and I couldn't find them. And, you know, it's embarrassing enough to be on the radio telling people that you have fake teeth. So I woke up one morning, and the lid was open to the container where it was at. And I couldn't find them anywhere. I was literally blaming my children for stealing my teeth. So I would walk around, and I have a 90-pound pit bull. And I go up to him and I ask, you know, look at him, see what he's doing. And he's chewing on something, chewing on it. And he has probably about three teeth left that he hadn't dissolved into his mouth and swallowed. So, yeah, when I asked the dentist, I said, well, why did he do this? He said, well, they taste like you and they smell like you. Why wouldn't you do that? It's a chew toy that tastes like daddy.

00:47:13 - 00:47:14 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that's wild.

00:47:14 - 00:47:21 | Speaker 1:

Now, do you wear those dentures again after they come back out? No, no, no, no, no.

00:47:21 - 00:47:25 | Speaker 5:

I got rid of them. I threw them out, and then I got new ones, which cost me $1,300.

00:47:26 - 00:47:30 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I was going to say, how much does that cost? That's expensive, huh?

00:47:30 - 00:47:34 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, yeah. My dog ended up costing me $1,300 in the whole situation.

00:47:35 - 00:47:36 | Speaker 3:

But now you and the dog have a nice smile.

00:47:37 - 00:47:38 | Speaker 5:

Oh, absolutely.

00:47:40 - 00:47:51 | Speaker 4:

Hey, thanks for the call. Beth, we were talking about the underwear, and Shannon mentioned her sister's dog with the tampons. This is a wild story. The visual has got to be amazing. What's going on?

00:47:51 - 00:48:07 | Speaker 6:

It was horrible. I left the drawer open in the bathroom, and he got a T.L. tax and ate it, because I found the wrapper. Yes. So I waited and waited, and the next thing I know, I see the string out of his butt. No. Oh, no. He was literally pulling. You had to pull.

00:48:08 - 00:48:09 | Speaker 7:

Oh, they had to pull.

00:48:10 - 00:48:12 | Speaker 3:

They had to pull the string.

00:48:12 - 00:48:14 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

00:48:14 - 00:48:16 | Speaker 7:

Oh, God.

00:48:16 - 00:48:23 | Speaker 4:

Oh, wow. What are the odds? Like a stick of dynamite Sticking right out of his booty

00:48:23 - 00:48:26 | Speaker 1:

Monthly training led you to that

00:48:26 - 00:48:29 | Speaker 4:

That's amazing

00:48:29 - 00:48:35 | Speaker 6:

Well I knew I had to get it out And I'm like oh my god Do or die Do or die

00:48:35 - 00:48:44 | Speaker 3:

And the risk I've heard from vets is that The string could tie around their intestines Or cause a blockage in some way And it's really kind of dangerous

00:48:44 - 00:48:49 | Speaker 6:

To pull it out because you don't know What it took to eat Yeah, yeah. You know, but I get to do it.

00:48:50 - 00:48:55 | Speaker 4:

Jeez. Wow. Okay, thanks. Thank you. Does Coraline eat anything, Megan?

00:48:55 - 00:49:19 | Speaker 1:

I'm so incredibly lucky that she does not eat anything. She tears it up, but she never ingests it. So I've lost quite a few pairs of, like, underwear or socks. It's really anything I'll kick off in the middle of the night. That sounded weird, but it is true. If I get hot in the middle of the night and I throw anything onto the floor, not really realizing it, I'll wake up in the morning and be like, and it's gone. It's gone.

00:49:20 - 00:49:26 | Speaker 4:

Do you guys remember when I told the story about how Jed slept over at the house and then left his weed pen?

00:49:26 - 00:49:27 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

00:49:27 - 00:49:28 | Speaker 4:

And Henry got at the weed pen?

00:49:28 - 00:49:29 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:49:29 - 00:49:48 | Speaker 4:

I saw the person that worked at the vet's office that had to tell us that, no, Henry's not like dying. Henry's just high. I still, I will never forget that. Waiting in the waiting room and everybody looking at us. When the woman said to us, do you guys have marijuana around your house? Oh, no. Are you kidding me? What?

00:49:49 - 00:49:52 | Speaker 3:

Now we're going to talk to our dog about theft. Where did he steal that from?

00:49:52 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 4:

It's unbelievable. But I saw them out, and they said, hey, just wanted to come up and say hi to you. And stuff. And came out. How's Henry doing? Whatever.

00:50:00 - 00:50:23 | Speaker 1:

and talked about that and i'm like i have to tell you that was one of the scariest moments i have ever had as a dog owner because i thought he was having seizures i mean he was like falling down and stuff only to think he had the best high ever that day and it's so common they say uh especially you know with weed being legal we're gonna end on rachel's because of course this is not something

00:50:23 - 00:50:39 | Speaker 6:

that you want your dog eating hi rachel good morning hello hi yes uh so yeah he got a hold of my vibrator oh no what kind of dog you have um he is a catahoula in a lab and the and wait

00:50:39 - 00:50:50 | Speaker 1:

and the dog ate your your you know personal device yes did it did it like get to a point That it actually was still working

00:50:50 - 00:51:06 | Speaker 6:

Uh no Thankfully it was just like The rubber part Around it But I got it to him in time But uh These are expensive I know that's what I was pissed off about Oh my gosh

00:51:06 - 00:51:07 | Speaker 2:

Put that sucker in a drawer

00:51:07 - 00:51:19 | Speaker 6:

I know well Alright psych now Sometimes you just gotta leave things Yeah Thanks, Rachel.

00:51:19 - 00:51:22 | Speaker 1:

Take care of yourself. Thanks, guys. You too. Bye.

00:51:22 - 00:51:33 | Speaker 7:

A note to Mojo's little yippy dogs. Don't piss him off. He could eat you. Get in my belly. This is Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:51:33 - 00:51:35 | Speaker 1:

Shannon, what's trending this morning in the Dirty on the 30?

00:51:35 - 00:52:13 | Speaker 3:

After spending more than a year in jail, it is still up in the air if the parents of the Oxford High School shooter will be tried in the tragic death of four students big big story in the detroit area right now james and jennifer crumbly's case was put on pause by the michigan state supreme court last year and they are both charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter after their son went on that shooting spree in 2021 and this would be correct me if i'm wrong it would be the first time the parents would be held responsible for what their child did. The Crumbly's attorney

00:52:13 - 00:52:19 | Speaker 4:

argued before a three-judge panel that Ethan was the only person responsible and parents are not

00:52:19 - 00:52:31 | Speaker 5:

obligated to protect their child's classmates. As a parent, I don't owe a legal duty to every kid at my four kids' schools. I don't owe a legal duty to every person my child encounters on the street.

00:52:31 - 00:52:40 | Speaker 4:

But prosecutors argue the Crumbly's knew their son had hallucinations and was hearing voices, and yet they bought him the gun used in the shooting.

00:52:40 - 00:52:42 | Speaker 7:

There were warning signs all over the place.

00:52:42 - 00:53:00 | Speaker 4:

The day of the shooting, a teacher called the Crumblies to school to show them a picture Ethan had drawn of a gun and a note in which he wrote, The thoughts won't stop. Help me. Prosecutors argue the Crumblies should have taken Ethan home. Instead, they left him at school. He later opened fire using the gun in his backpack.

00:53:00 - 00:53:24 | Speaker 3:

All over the national news this morning. Nick Cannon and Kevin Hart have teamed up to host a really interesting new reality show on E! called Who's Having My Baby? where female contestants will compete to have Nick Cannon's 13th child. Oh my gosh. The trailer dropped yesterday. Here's a part. Having my baby with Nick Cannon!

00:53:26 - 00:53:33 | Speaker 2:

You're going to get some contestants that want to have your baby. We're not kidding around. Meenie, meenie, money.

00:53:34 - 00:53:41 | Speaker 4:

Let's go! Who's Having My Baby with Nick Cannon, hosted by Kevin Hart, this spring, only on E!

00:53:41 - 00:54:00 | Speaker 3:

So, people... When were auditions? People are obviously, like, the comments are so good. People are outraged because, of course, people have to be mad and offended at something. The whole thing, I think, so I've been told, is a promotion for a new Kevin Hart sketch comedy show. So, I don't know if this show is actually happening.

00:54:01 - 00:54:02 | Speaker 2:

Oh, man.

00:54:02 - 00:54:02 | Speaker 3:

Nonetheless.

00:54:03 - 00:54:11 | Speaker 2:

Hey, what's going on? This is Kevin Hart, a.k.a. K-Hart, a.k.a. Chocolate Drop. Right now, you're listening to Mojo in the Morning. Listen to them, bitches.

00:54:12 - 00:54:21 | Speaker 3:

The Los Angeles Clippers will have a brand new arena soon as the Intuit Dome continues to be built in Inglewood, California. Am I saying that right? Intuit Dome?

00:54:21 - 00:54:32 | Speaker 1:

I believe so. Intuit Dome. It has the best highlights of them all for anybody. I saw this yesterday. I was like, what a way to sell a brand new arena because they've been sharing the Staples Center with the Lakers.

00:54:32 - 00:54:53 | Speaker 3:

Yes, yeah. Well, yesterday, billionaire Clippers owner Steve Ballmer who's from Michigan spoke at the construction site. He had his hard hat on. He had his big construction goggles on. And he was very hyped about one certain aspect of this stadium that is very unique compared to others. He got real excited about the toilets.

00:54:53 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 7:

Toilets! 1,160 toilets. Three times the NBA average.

00:55:00 - 00:55:07 | Speaker 1:

We do not want people waiting in line. We want to make a mess in their damn seats. I like that.

00:55:08 - 00:55:11 | Speaker 3:

1,160 toilets.

00:55:11 - 00:55:15 | Speaker 1:

He sounds like Chris Farley. Like, I live in a van down by the river.

00:55:15 - 00:55:18 | Speaker 3:

The Intuit Dome expected to open its doors in 2024.

00:55:18 - 00:55:22 | Speaker 1:

Listen, any of us that went to basketball at the Palace understand the importance of more toilets.

00:55:22 - 00:55:23 | Speaker 2:

Or Joe Louis.

00:55:23 - 00:55:25 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Joe Louis was the worst.

00:55:26 - 00:55:29 | Speaker 2:

And by the way, I stand corrected. Steve Ballmer went to Detroit Country Day.

00:55:29 - 00:55:33 | Speaker 3:

because I just got a text from somebody that was very upset

00:55:33 - 00:55:34 | Speaker 2:

that I said they went to Cranbrook.

00:55:35 - 00:56:17 | Speaker 3:

And lastly, lyrics from this song right here. We all know it. Have been quietly removed from the musical medley in Disneyland's famous Magic Happens Parade. Now, the song originated from the 1946 movie Song of the South, a movie that has been heavily criticized for its stereotypes of not only black men, but also its romanticized view of the post-Civil War South. I also believe that was the movie that the Splash Mountain ride was based on that they are now changing. But Disneyland replaced Zippity-Doo-Dah with a song from Peter Pan. It is wild that it is 2023 and that song was still out there. It's been a long time. Wild. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on mojointhemorning.com.

You are so welcome. Hang on the phone for just one second, and we'll get some information from you, okay?

00:56:54 - 00:56:55 | Speaker 3:

All right. Thank you.

00:56:55 - 00:58:54 | Speaker 2:

All right. Mojo in the Morning Show, have you ever said I love you on accident? I mean, I've done this before. I actually said I love you to our former boss once, Till. Remember Till LeVac? Oh, my gosh, he did not. Yeah, hung up the phone with Till. She was a great lady who used to work here at the station. And I'm so used to just saying I love you. I go, I love you. And she goes, I love you, too. And hung up the phone at the same time. But I'm talking about, have you ever said I love you to someone that you were in a relationship with but not ready to say it? A buddy of mine told his girlfriend of less than a month that he loves her. And he said it came out completely by accident when they were sitting around just having, you know, drinks on a couch. And he said the look on her face was amazing. But here's the part that has been really difficult. He says, I mean, I care about her a lot. I don't necessarily know if I love her. And I don't know if I want the relationship going this fast that, you know, you know, in just a month. But he says, now she says, I love you to him. And so instead of his response of saying, I love you back, he just goes in for a kiss and gives her a kiss. And he said, it's been really, really awkward because he said, ever since he said those words completely by accident, that he's now gotten to a point where he's like, I don't know if I want to stay in this relationship. Like, it really got him thinking weird. Like, it could have gone one of the other ways. You know, it could go that you think, oh, my God, this is it. This is the relationship. But I said to him, I go, this is really common. 50% of men have said I love you to a woman by accident. Why did they make this mistaken L word come out? Well, 56% of these guys say that they have done it when they were doing it, okay, baking cookies. 23% said that they did it while they were drunk.

00:58:55 - 00:58:55 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:58:55 - 00:59:07 | Speaker 2:

So that just did it for him right there. And here's the interesting thing about this. 8% of guys have falsely told a woman that they loved her because she was crying and they felt bad.

00:59:08 - 00:59:10 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's bad. Isn't it? Yeah.

00:59:10 - 00:59:27 | Speaker 2:

Has that ever happened to any of our listeners? Have you ever told somebody that you love them completely by accident? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I mean, what do you do?

00:59:28 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 3:

Wes didn't say it to me by accident, but he said it to me in a really not great moment. We were in the middle of an argument, and he brought out the I love you. For the first time? For the first time. Oh, wow. Yeah. Like it was so important to him that we ended the argument in a healthy way because I love you and I was not ready to say it back at all. And so it just kind of like sat in the air after he said it. He meant it, but it just, it wasn't like this lovey-dove.

01:00:00 - 01:00:34 | Speaker 1:

moment like everybody wants it to to be you know so you didn't respond I did not respond and actually was it tough for you not to respond no because I didn't I I didn't truly feel that yet I liked him and it our relationship obviously was going in that direction but in that moment I was like I can't I can't respond I love you back also we were arguing so I was right well that's interesting probably remembers what my response was I don't remember but I didn't say it back for probably like a couple months until a couple months later oh wow yeah it took me a while i won i will say

01:00:34 - 01:00:46 | Speaker 7:

this the anger uh argument i love you is interesting i wonder how many people have had that happen to them yeah where they tried where they said i love you just to try to end a fight uh jake what's going

01:00:46 - 01:01:28 | Speaker 4:

on hey so uh i was talking to my future wife on the phone uh second time talking to her on the phone she speaks spanish and uh we were talking quick and she says te llamo and hangs up and that means i love you and i was like what the heck this girl loves me after just a few times talking calls me right back and i was like hey i i don't love you yet and she's like okay i don't love you either i was like well you just said it nope te llamo means i'll call you right back Say, amo means I love you. Oh. Yeah. But it all ended up working out. We're married, and we have a baby thanks to you guys.

01:01:28 - 01:01:32 | Speaker 7:

Well, my guys, from our Mojo Gives You a Baby promotion?

01:01:33 - 01:01:33 | Speaker 4:

Yep.

01:01:33 - 01:01:56 | Speaker 7:

That's awesome. Which, by the way, we're accepting applications right now for Mojo Gives You a Baby. By the end of the week, you've got to get them to us because it's wrapping up at the end of the week, and then we're going to pick the 10 finalists for that. Jake, I can't believe you called her back. Like, honestly, that was gutsy for you to do that because that right there could have completely ended your relationship.

01:01:57 - 01:02:06 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so she called me right back, like right away. But in between that point, I was like, what do I do when I meet her again? How do I tell her?

01:02:07 - 01:02:08 | Speaker 7:

I can't believe you said something. What's up, Ashley?

01:02:10 - 01:02:12 | Speaker 3:

Hi, guys. Good morning. Good morning.

01:02:12 - 01:02:14 | Speaker 7:

You accidentally said I love you?

01:02:14 - 01:02:39 | Speaker 3:

I did so it was actually after a Christmas gathering and I have a pretty large family so we were just giving hugs you know saying oh we'll see you you know next time next gathering bye love you and then I turned to my boyfriend and said bye love you and he just looked at me and we both stared for a second and just kind of brushed it under the rug and pretend that it did not happen

01:02:39 - 01:02:46 | Speaker 7:

oh my god did you did you feel like scared like did your stomach drop for a second

01:02:46 - 01:02:55 | Speaker 3:

absolutely absolutely and then we ended up my sister actually lives in hawaii so about six months later we took a trip out there and then you know he told me out there and that

01:02:55 - 01:03:03 | Speaker 7:

one felt genuine yeah yeah jenna what's up hi how are you guys good jenna you had an accident

01:03:03 - 01:03:31 | Speaker 2:

i love you situation for us yeah so my now ex um was really drunk at a party with all his friends there and told me he loved me it was about a month in but the funniest part was you know all his friends looked at me we all saw it and I made him all his friends swore to secrecy that they would not tell him that he said that so maybe six months later when he actually told me I busted out laughing because we could all finally tell him that he had told me he loved me six months prior

01:03:31 - 01:04:04 | Speaker 7:

oh my god wait a second so he was just so wasted that he didn't even realize he said I love you to you yeah he didn't even remember it after oh my god like that's how drunk do you have to be that you don't realize that i know that's like pretty drunk yeah i have to be honest with you i when i'm drunk i tell everybody i love them i'll tell the bartender i say it to everybody every time i'm getting off the phone yeah what's up andrew how you doing hey good morning mojo how you guys doing good you did an accidental i love you kind of like we just talked about what did you who'd

01:04:04 - 01:04:16 | Speaker 5:

you tell him yeah it was just last night i was at walmart and uh i told the mail clerk who was ringing me up that i loved him total accident in my defense it was the second walmart i had

01:04:16 - 01:04:30 | Speaker 7:

to go to because the first one was all out of milk what's up leo how you doing hey what's going on guys how you doing good what do you do in a case where somebody says i love you and the other person

01:04:30 - 01:04:54 | Speaker 6:

doesn't respond what happened leo well my girlfriend was leaving my house like within the first month of our relationship i told i was just saying i loved her just like as a goodbye and like she looked at me like i was crazy and she explained to me how like she's not she don't she doesn't love me yet and she's not there and like that was way too fast and then so everybody

01:04:54 - 01:05:29 | Speaker 7:

dumped that for a second wait so you wait so stop for a second and you can't swear but Thank you.

01:05:00 - 01:05:03 | Speaker 2:

Because I really want to explore this. So you said, I love you to her.

01:05:03 - 01:05:04 | Speaker 6:

And you meant it.

01:05:04 - 01:05:07 | Speaker 2:

And you meant it, but then called her back. And what did you say?

01:05:08 - 01:05:27 | Speaker 6:

Well, it was like a goodbye. Like, it just slipped out. And then, like, in the moment, I didn't explain that. Like, it slipped out, and it was eating me up. So I had to call her back. And I just felt terrible because I don't know what she was thinking the whole time. But now we're together. We just moved into a house.

01:05:27 - 01:05:36 | Speaker 3:

But how do you have that conversation, though, where you're essentially taking it back? Because now you're, you might have said it by accident, but now you're intentionally saying, I don't love you.

01:05:38 - 01:06:10 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, it was more like, hey, like, I know I, I know what I said. I just wanted to tell you, like, I don't, I don't actually mean those words, but like, I care for you a lot in a way. and it just all worked out and I don't know her face was traumatic almost like in my head you just called back and went just kidding I hate you and then hung up the phone right

01:06:10 - 01:06:14 | Speaker 2:

he probably did

01:06:14 - 01:06:18 | Speaker 6:

I felt so bad I felt terrible I was overthinking it dramatically

01:06:18 - 01:06:28 | Speaker 2:

Melissa her reaction is exactly what a majority of people who hear it go, oh, crap. And what did you do, Melissa?

01:06:31 - 01:07:08 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so me and my boyfriend started dating a month, and we were going to the bar with some friends for our birthdays. Because our birthday took two months apart. So I was dancing with him and grinding on him, and he told me that he loved me. So I pretended like I didn't hear it. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. So about six months later I ended up saying it And he was so happy And he said that he wasn't willing to say it for a long time But now we joke about it Because I remind him That he's the one that said it When we first got together Yeah, and so, yeah

01:07:08 - 01:07:16 | Speaker 2:

The pretending I didn't hear it Is the one that a lot of people will do Just like you Megan, what's up? Mojo in the morning

01:07:16 - 01:07:24 | Speaker 5:

Hi Hey, I accidentally said I love you on the phone to my ex-husband in front of my new fiancé.

01:07:24 - 01:07:28 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Oh, God, oh, God. What kind of crap did that cost?

01:07:29 - 01:08:13 | Speaker 5:

Well, we were on the phone. We were discussing. My son had to go to the doctor, and we were discussing the appointment, and it was like it just happened out of habit. Like, it was, I mean, we've been divorced for eight years now, and it was, I say I love you to everyone on the phone, like, after, you know, I'm on the phone with them, but I love you. and it just like happened out of habit and then my fiance was standing there and he just like looked at me like what the heck and then I you know like my fiance or my ex-husband didn't say anything like back he was just like all right talk to you later and then you know we hung up and then I had to explain to my fiance like you know it was just out of habit like right oh god I hope he understood like I mean it was awkward but it was just out of habit like it was an accident

01:08:14 - 01:08:17 | Speaker 2:

Thanks for the call. We appreciate it. Are you dropping off?

01:08:17 - 01:08:17 | Speaker 5:

Yep.

01:08:17 - 01:08:19 | Speaker 2:

You dropping kids off right now?

01:08:19 - 01:08:25 | Speaker 5:

Yes, I have three kids in the car. I actually was one of the finalists to win the car of the money.

01:08:26 - 01:08:29 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really? When we did the Gordon Chevrolet giveaway?

01:08:30 - 01:08:32 | Speaker 5:

Yes, I sure was. I was with Shannon.

01:08:32 - 01:08:33 | Speaker 2:

Oh, man.

01:08:33 - 01:08:38 | Speaker 5:

Oh, and I lost for you. I'm sorry. F those babies.

01:08:38 - 01:09:41 | Speaker 2:

it is red wing wednesday on mojo in the morning and we celebrate college nights all year long uh i win a pair of tickets to see the wings take on the chicago blackhawks at little caesar's arena oh is that tonight yes tonight yeah yeah tonight um college night and they're going to be featuring Michigan Tech, so Michigan Technical University. We'll look for the 95th caller to see the wings on Wing Wednesdays right here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. It is your home of the phone scams. Elaine wants us to call Archie. This weekend while he was at work, a snowplow dinged his car door and he's been waiting for a call back from the plow company. Spike is not very good with customer service, you'll hear, in this phone scam. Mojo in the Morning, your home of the phone scams.

01:09:43 - 01:09:50 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning, home of the world-famous phone scams. Hello?

01:09:50 - 01:09:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, this is Phil from Toyin' Landscaping, calling for Archie. Is that your name? Yeah. That's your name, huh? Right, yeah. Okay.

01:10:00 - 01:10:03 | Speaker 2:

Here's a note on my desk. You had a complaint about our services. Can you let me know what's going on?

01:10:04 - 01:10:07 | Speaker 3:

One of your snow plows apparently bumped into my car.

01:10:08 - 01:10:09 | Speaker 2:

Your car was in the lot when they plowed it?

01:10:11 - 01:10:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, there was no notice. Nobody told me to move it. I assumed that whoever was doing it would pay attention to vehicles.

01:10:19 - 01:10:23 | Speaker 2:

Well, I'm just wondering because how do you know it was my driver that hit your car?

01:10:23 - 01:10:34 | Speaker 3:

Because your driver, your vehicle, was the only vehicle that came through there. I was probably inside for about, I don't know, three or four minutes getting my coffee. It was fine when I came out. I saw your vehicle come in.

01:10:34 - 01:10:35 | Speaker 2:

Wow.

01:10:35 - 01:10:37 | Speaker 3:

Your vehicle was the only one that was there.

01:10:37 - 01:10:45 | Speaker 2:

That's amazing. That's amazing that you saw the plow come in, but you had to get coffee instead of moving your car so he could clear your parking lot.

01:10:46 - 01:10:55 | Speaker 3:

I made the assumption that your driver was a careful driver and would not run into vehicles.

01:10:55 - 01:10:59 | Speaker 2:

You know what they say about assuming? They say it means you're an asshole

01:10:59 - 01:11:01 | Speaker 3:

Your driver ran into my car

01:11:01 - 01:11:06 | Speaker 2:

We need to get this fixed First we need to go through the basics here And find out if that's really what happened Where was the car damaged?

01:11:07 - 01:11:14 | Speaker 3:

It was damaged in the driver's side door I can send you guys a picture of the dent I've called you guys before

01:11:14 - 01:11:16 | Speaker 2:

Do you have a picture of the plow hitting the driver's side door?

01:11:17 - 01:11:23 | Speaker 3:

No, I've got a picture of the dent in the door That wasn't there before your vehicle came into the parking lot

01:11:23 - 01:11:25 | Speaker 2:

What kind of car is it?

01:11:25 - 01:11:26 | Speaker 3:

It's a BMW

01:11:26 - 01:11:32 | Speaker 2:

Well, if you could afford a car like that, then you must have more money than me. Maybe you can take care of the door thing and not worry about it.

01:11:32 - 01:11:33 | Speaker 3:

Okay, this is getting ridiculous.

01:11:34 - 01:11:48 | Speaker 2:

What's ridiculous is we get these kind of complaints all the time, people. And I'm not saying this is you necessarily, but a lot of people see a plow and they see dollar signs. Like, oh, I can file some kind of false claim and collect some money here. You don't even have proof that my truck hit your car.

01:11:50 - 01:12:07 | Speaker 3:

Your vehicle was the only vehicle in there in the time period that this happened. any reasonable insurance company would say this was what the damage called for i'm calling you guys as a reasonable person saying you guys caused this to happen be reasonable people

01:12:07 - 01:12:17 | Speaker 2:

and take responsibility caused it to happen you saw the snowplow coming to do their job you just left your car in the middle of the parking lot and you think it's our wasn't in the middle of

01:12:17 - 01:12:23 | Speaker 3:

the parking lot it was parked properly your driver should have watched where they were going

01:12:23 - 01:12:30 | Speaker 2:

You got any surveillance footage or cameras maybe at work that could prove it was our truck?

01:12:31 - 01:12:35 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I haven't checked. I'm happy to do that, if that's what it takes. This is...

01:12:35 - 01:12:40 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it is. Why don't you call the cops and have them dust for fingerprints on your car or something?

01:12:41 - 01:12:43 | Speaker 3:

You know, or I could just sue the s*** out of you guys.

01:12:43 - 01:12:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. An apology's in order here. Are you apologizing? No, I thought you'd want to apologize to me.

01:12:52 - 01:12:57 | Speaker 3:

This is bull**** Do you have anybody that has any common sense there?

01:12:57 - 01:13:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, I mean, I don't have anybody in this room that has common sense But I'll give you my name It's Spike from the Mojo on the Morning Show Elaine just told us to phone scam you You're on the radio right now It's not the landscaping company

01:13:09 - 01:13:12 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's awesome, that's amazing

01:13:12 - 01:13:29 | Speaker 1:

We will, we will scam you You're home with the phone scams. The world famous. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:13:32 - 01:13:36 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning. Kimberly? Good morning, Mojo.

01:13:37 - 01:13:37 | Unknown:

How are you?

01:13:38 - 01:13:41 | Speaker 4:

We're doing great. Kimberly, congratulations to you. It's Red Wing Wednesday. She got tickets.

01:13:42 - 01:13:45 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. I'm so excited. My husband's a fast.

01:13:46 - 01:13:58 | Speaker 4:

Congrats to you. We're going to set you up with tickets for tonight against the Chicago Blackhawks. And it's college night. And Michigan Technical University is the college that they're choosing for tonight. So, have a great time at the game, okay?

01:13:59 - 01:14:01 | Speaker 1:

I can't wait. Thank you so much.

01:14:09 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 4:

Good morning and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. Got a lot coming up this morning. happy mojo in the morning international wait did i just take ownership of it i just did i think it just thought it's mojo in the morning international women's day and if other stations or national television talks about it and they don't mention mojo in the morning you tell us um but it's international women's day coming up here in just a second what women made me good at mike's going talk about that. Megan wants to buy a cursed ring. She's thinking about it. You tell her what your thoughts are. Shannon with it closed before I could even go. And we've got.

01:15:00 - 01:15:56 | Speaker 2:

the Dirty coming up this hour with another chance for you to hang out with us and party at Irish on Ionia. That's all coming up like in the next 30 minutes here on the Mojo in the Morning show. It's International Women's Day, which as I started the show this morning, I said it should be like International Women's Day every day and not just focused on one day, but it's wonderful to be able to know that all of us have the affinity of women that are in our lives um many of these uh these women are relatives of ours they start off as relatives and many of these could be co-workers or you know former bosses one thing about working for this company iheart radio is that we have female leadership in some amazing ways that honestly i will say this to you starts right here with our boss colleen colleen grant

01:15:56 - 01:15:57 | Speaker 1:

Shout out to her today.

01:15:57 - 01:16:28 | Speaker 2:

So we, and Kim Blockhamp, I mean, the dynamic duo that run this radio station and run our lives here, you know, radio-wise are amazing. But, Mike, you have a great topic that you want to do for International Women's Day. and something very, very special to you because you've got an awesome wife, but you've also got a mom that influenced you, grandmas, and who do you want to talk about right now specifically?

01:16:29 - 01:18:41 | Speaker 1:

Well, I do want to thank my mom and my sister and my grandmothers and my aunts and people that came in and out of my life for shaping and Megan Mick, of course, influencing and friends and coworkers that have influenced and shaped and molded me to be a decent human being um i think that my life truly did change when um when uh you know i met my wife and then had a little girl and i was never i was never a um my dad my dad was kind of the the guy's guy well you don't you don't show emotions you don't cry like if i ever cried i didn't ever cry in front of him and it wasn't a thing we did our house and um since having uh a little girl and and my wife i've become more kind and more patient and and overall like emotions that uh i think we're always there characteristics that we're always there sure um just started to pour out and started to to seem normal to express and i also learned you know holding that little girl and anybody everybody who's had a kid knows this holding that little kid for the first time especially if you birth that child that child was part of your body for nine months you hold them for the first time and it completely changes your whole outlook on everything your perspective on everything nothing else matters this is it this is everything and then me who was a just i've said it a million times but i won't stop saying it because i'm i'm proud of where i came uh i'm proud of who i've become not where i came but I was a D-bag before. I just wasn't a good guy. I dated girls and would just ghost. And I just did a lot of things that I wasn't proud of today. And then you have a little girl, and you're like, your whole mind just goes in all these different places. She's going to run into jerks like I was. You know what I mean? So then I went back, and I've done this for the last few years now. I went back and called every ex that would answer my phone call. Did you really, Mike? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I sat down and had lunch with some and apologized and just said I was wrong. A lot of them won't answer, and that's totally understandable. But I get it. I mean, I wasn't the greatest.

01:18:42 - 01:18:44 | Speaker 2:

How many are we talking here? You're making it sound like there's a lot.

01:18:44 - 01:19:18 | Speaker 1:

I mean, a handful, but still, there's a couple. Yeah, I said a lot. Like, there's a football team. No, it's not like that. But I just tried to make amends. And I don't deserve it in any way, shape, or form. But that's not the point. The point is that these amazing women, my wife, Allie, my daughter, Cecily, Megan Mick. Oh, my God. Thank you, Mike. Oh, my God. There's a lot of good women in my life, and there's a lot of good women in the world, but a lot of good women in my life who just make me a better human. I want to say thank you.

01:19:18 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 2:

That's awesome. I love that. I was thinking when you brought this up in our pre-show meeting that this was a topic that you wanted to bring up. I was thinking about what my mom taught me, and I think my mom gave me my faith, my faith in God, because I saw her in the worst of moments as she had been battling cancer throughout most of my childhood, and yet she still loved God. Like, she didn't turn her faith to go, you know, why would he do this to me? She actually turned her faith to say, I'm going to go to heaven, and I'm going to be in a better place. And so that was kind of like where that faith goes. But then I was raised by three sisters afterwards, and those three sisters did exactly.

01:20:00 - 01:22:38 | Speaker 1:

what you were just talking about taught me how to be a better man and be a husband to a wife in Chelsea who taught me how to actually be tougher and you know um you know have a backbone and not you know not uh do the oh yeah yeah yeah yeah I'll do that I'll do that and then not do it like to follow through on promises and you know I I will say this to you one of the things about women in Shannon and Megan and Lydia and KP who is not with us right now we're blessed to be surrounded around you guys but one of the things about you guys is you guys are so good at thinking things through where guys don't think sometimes well most of the time and the one thing that I will always know is that I can turn to the women that are in my life to be able to ask a question that might have an obvious answer, but it's not obvious to me because I always, you know, go for it. And then the non-obvious answer is the one that you guys always come up with too. Like the one where you have to look at like the shift your perspective. Yeah. Shift it. And it's funny because like that, that was one of the conversations I was having with, um, my son, Joe, cause we were talking about international women's day and he said what he was going to talk about about his mom today on the air and he was like mom always told us to not look at things as you know black or white or a or b but to look at c d z w you know what i mean like look at other things that are in things you know like to go to explore it more and then i think about chelsea and how what she has done as a mom because she's got three boys that she's trying to mold into men and how she parents them so differently. Like, we have a son who the first person he wanted to come out to, you know, as a parent was Chelsea because he knew that Chelsea was going to be the compassionate, you know, loving and understanding. And then Luke and Joe, when they face any kind of adversity in their lives through breakups of relationships or through Luke trying to get through school right now, mom's always the one, and it pisses me off. But I understand why, because she's my go-to too. Happy International Women's Day. Do you guys want to share anything about the women in your lives or yourself, because you're a woman?

01:22:38 - 01:22:42 | Speaker 2:

Well, I'll piggyback. Not you, but go ahead. I wasn't saying you're the woman.

01:22:42 - 01:22:44 | Speaker 1:

You said about the women in my life. I'm sorry. No, go ahead.

01:22:44 - 01:23:28 | Speaker 2:

No, I just want to piggyback on what Mike said about being a girl dad. And you're just inspired by, I'm inspired by my kind, intelligent, and inquisitive daughters. And just every day, they make me proud to be an ally and fight for genuine equality. But also, you know, their mom and their grandmothers who taught them to be proud, be fierce, be themselves. Like you said, thank God there was a mom at home while we were doing this goofy job. And I'm so grateful for Megan who takes care of me and a six-year-old. I'm not sure which one of us is bigger baggage to take care of, a six-year-old or me. I'm pretty sure I'm tougher to take care of. But while kicking ass and she's taking names at a male-dominated industry, too, and she's just amazing in every way to watch her work.

01:23:28 - 01:23:29 | Speaker 1:

Megan, your girlfriend?

01:23:29 - 01:23:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah. To watch her work and the work-life balance is just insane. And I know that would break my back. I wouldn't be able to do it. And then just to circle back to what you said at the beginning of this conversation, our brilliant sisters here on the air and behind the scenes who make our show better, but also make us as people better. It's necessary. And if you don't have that representation, I mean, an equal world is an enabled world. And we're made better because of the women in our lives.

01:24:00 - 01:24:00 | Speaker 3:

Thanks.

01:24:01 - 01:24:04 | Speaker 1:

Do you guys want to just take the rest of the morning off for International Women's Day?

01:24:04 - 01:24:09 | Speaker 3:

I mean, you can't watch us like Starbucks. I thought of that on the drive-in

01:24:09 - 01:24:15 | Speaker 2:

We can do that We can do that, alright I got a gift card that's still got $6 on it

01:24:15 - 01:25:00 | Speaker 3:

Spike would give me a gift card that's for like $4.19 Like some rando number Can I actually recognize somebody? Because I feel like every year I recognize my daughter Lucy Or my mom Who is phenomenal And I'm blessed to have a great stepmom Chris as well But I really um want to just give a shout out to my youngest sister Jacqueline who I you know as of late have been just absolutely blown away by her strength because she is the mom of my sweet nieces Stella and Navy and Navy was born at the end of July with some pretty pretty severe special needs and walking or watching my sister walk through that and navigate that and advocate

01:25:00 - 01:25:07 | Speaker 1:

for her daughter while being a mom and a sister and a friend she's a doctor of physical therapy

01:25:00 - 01:25:29 | Speaker 3:

Thank you.

01:25:07 - 01:25:20 | Speaker 1:

she works she has been the glue that has held my family together on top of some other things that we're all dealing with and I just I bow down to her today because she is an incredible incredible

01:25:20 - 01:25:46 | Speaker 2:

woman awesome and Megan what you're doing for the women in the Toledo area and honestly past Toledo because there's so many people that will go to Toledo to try to get away from a bad situation. And what you're doing with the women's shelter there, I mean, I honor you for what your heart is now poured out to to help out people. And maybe you can talk about some of the women that are involved with that.

01:25:46 - 01:26:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm absolutely floored with so many women. Lisa McDuffie, Christy Hoffman, Mindy, we got Lauren, all of them over at the YWCA. Rachel, who works there. The YWCA is the only emergency domestic violence shelter here in Northwest Ohio. Serves a huge portion of the state. They have so many other services than that. But I'm just overwhelmed with the amount of work that they do for our sisters here in our community. Because this can affect literally anybody. Anybody. There's no boundaries to who might be touched by domestic violence and needing emergency shelter. Those ladies are actually going to come on to KISS all day today and take over. We are playing only women on the station and talking and sharing how you can help if you want. That's awesome. Megan, that is great. That's awesome. I love that.

01:26:34 - 01:26:43 | Speaker 2:

So if you're not even in Toledo, if you're in Grand Rapids or Detroit or other where around, stream it on the iHeart app, 92.5 KISS FM in Toledo.

01:26:43 - 01:26:48 | Speaker 3:

Please, please, please. And we're going to stream the whole thing live, too, so you can watch along, and it'll be so much fun today. Thank you.

01:26:49 - 01:26:51 | Speaker 2:

Judith, how are you doing?

01:26:52 - 01:27:17 | Speaker 4:

I'm doing good. How are you? Fantastic. I just wanted to tell you that I lost my mom the same way watching her, like, deteriorate through cancer, and it was a very fast battle, but she was also an amazing Christian, touched so many people's lives, including mine, and she was ready to go meet Jesus, and I'm going to meet her again, but she inspired me and made me the person that I am, and I strive to be like her every day.

01:27:17 - 01:27:42 | Speaker 2:

It's funny. I don't know how you feel if you're like this, but I was thinking about this as a grown adult. And I was thinking I would be the most bitter cancer person. Like, you know, if I had cancer, I'd probably be bitter. But now I can't be bitter because I saw the path that my mom raised for me. And I always thought to myself, I'm like, how was she not bitter? You know what I mean? Or how was she? But it was her faith that was the reason why she was so. Right.

01:27:42 - 01:27:59 | Speaker 4:

You know, my mom broke down a few times just because it's frustrating. Just, you know, your body is dying, but she was just ready, and, you know, I can't wait to meet her again, but it's just like the whole thing made me stronger, and I hope that it made you stronger, but just wanted to let you know that you're not alone.

01:28:00 - 01:28:08 | Speaker 2:

We'll party together one day, all of us and our moms. Our moms are partying together. Mark, how you doing? Who did you want to shout out today?

01:28:09 - 01:28:11 | Speaker 5:

Hey, good morning, Margell. How you all on?

01:28:11 - 01:28:13 | Speaker 2:

We're good, buddy. What did you want to do?

01:28:13 - 01:28:42 | Speaker 5:

Oh, well, I was just listening to the comments you guys have been making, and I agree with Spike that I'm proud of my 16-year-old daughter, who's the captain of the Color Guard at Fort Lake Central. And, in fact, we just got back a couple weeks ago back from Florida down in Walt Disney World. They were invited, the whole marching band got invited to go down there and march. But, yeah, I'm really proud of her. She's a hard worker. She's running A's already.

01:28:42 - 01:28:51 | Speaker 2:

Wow. What's her plans? Let me ask you this as a dad. Do you ever picture, visualize, like, what she'll be doing five, ten years from now?

01:28:53 - 01:28:56 | Speaker 5:

Actually, she's got it planned out. She wants to become a nurse.

01:28:57 - 01:29:26 | Speaker 2:

That's great. Awesome. Go Vikings. Yeah. Incredible. Thank you for the call. I appreciate it. Mojo in the morning show. So Megan wants to know if it's okay to do this, and I've always wanted to know if there are any people that have ever actually not felt weird doing it, but what's going on?

01:29:26 - 01:30:22 | Speaker 3:

So somebody please tell me if this is a scam or not, because now that I'm thinking about it, it might be, but I saw this engagement ring for sale on Facebook, and let me tell you it is a gorgeous engagement ring and it is I mean it's pricey but it's not as expensive as I thought it was going to be and I was surprised that there weren't like a ton of comments of people trying to buy it but then I thought well the ring's probably cursed it probably has like a bad vibe to it I don't think a lot of people and I could be wrong would want like a, my relationship didn't work out so the ring is for sale kind of ring for their engagement. But as a single lady who, nobody's going to buy me a ring. I see this as a treat yourself moment, but I'm worried even if I'm not buying it for a love connection, I'm just buying it for myself, that it will bring bad vibes to my life. Bad juju. Bad juju.

01:30:24 - 01:30:25 | Unknown:

I don't know.

01:30:25 - 01:30:29 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. Because you're not using it as an engagement ring. I say go for it.

01:30:30 - 01:30:52 | Speaker 3:

Okay, but what happens if I use it as an engagement ring at the club? Sorry, I don't know who I am. Wait, what? At the club. What? Does anybody even go to clubs anymore? I went to the bar. Like if you use it to put on so that people don't hit on you? Well, yeah, because I have such a problem with that. No, I actually feel like if I wore it, people would hit on me more. You want something that somebody else has?

01:30:52 - 01:30:57 | Speaker 4:

I think if you want it just because it's a beautiful piece of jewelry and you're not going to. I say go for it.

01:30:57 - 01:31:02 | Speaker 2:

I wonder, would you do it, though, if you were going to do it?

01:31:02 - 01:31:18 | Speaker 4:

No, I'm kind of superstitious about that. But that's really hypocritical of me to say because, I mean, I called off a wedding many, many, many moons ago and ended up selling the wedding dress that I never wore, and somebody bought it.

01:31:18 - 01:31:35 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I think it's different for each person. Listen, the ring's going to be around long after we leave this earth. I mean, it's going to outlast our bodies. So I think, like, it's the purpose of the person wearing it, and you start a new kind of juju for that ring.

01:31:35 - 01:31:51 | Speaker 2:

Les Gold from American Jewelry and Pawn, you know, the famous show, he told me that wedding rings are some of their biggest items that they get. Really? Yeah. People want to purchase right away. So there's obviously people that are buying them and purchasing them.

01:31:51 - 01:31:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:31:51 - 01:31:59 | Speaker 2:

So, I mean, I guess if you don't know what the bad, you know, karma was with it or a bad thing that happened with it.

01:32:00 - 01:32:05 | Speaker 4:

That is true. Maybe it was just two people who said, you know what? We're better off as friends. We probably shouldn't do this.

01:32:05 - 01:32:16 | Speaker 3:

Or something absolutely horrific happens because of the ring. And now the curse is going to be passed down for generations through my bloodline. You don't know.

01:32:16 - 01:32:20 | Speaker 1:

No, it's your job to purify that ring to reinvigorate it.

01:32:20 - 01:32:23 | Speaker 3:

I don't know if I know this, but nothing about me has ever been pure.

01:32:24 - 01:32:32 | Speaker 2:

Also, we're just all going to breeze past the fact that Megan just said clurb. We're not going to. Nobody's going to comment on that.

01:32:32 - 01:32:34 | Speaker 3:

I make bad choices, Mike. We knew that.

01:32:35 - 01:32:37 | Speaker 2:

Rochelle, you have advice for Megan.

01:32:38 - 01:32:47 | Speaker 3:

I do. I would get the ring because you deserve it. And then I would get some sage and I would sage the ring. A lot of people saying that. Yeah.

01:32:48 - 01:32:49 | Speaker 2:

So does that work?

01:32:49 - 01:32:54 | Speaker 3:

Honestly, as somebody who has a lot of smoke around her all the time, what is sage smoke going to do?

01:32:55 - 01:33:05 | Speaker 4:

People are texting about a shop, a witch shop in Milford who will clean and purify the ring. I did not know that that was true. I'll do it too.

01:33:05 - 01:33:09 | Speaker 1:

For the low, low price of $19.99, I will purify that ring.

01:33:09 - 01:33:17 | Speaker 3:

Or do I like, I grew up at a Catholic school. I feel like I could just break into a church, drop it in the holy water right by the door and then leave, right? There you go. Same thing.

01:33:17 - 01:33:20 | Speaker 1:

I know you haven't been to church a while, but you don't have to break in. They're actually open.

01:33:20 - 01:33:20 | Speaker 3:

Oh.

01:33:22 - 01:33:32 | Speaker 2:

You know what's interesting, though? If you're not doing it for a relationship to get married, who cares, right? All it is is now a piece of jewelry. Yeah. Right.

01:33:33 - 01:33:49 | Speaker 3:

But the bad vibes could be embedded into it. So, okay, what if it curses, like, my bad luck in relationships, whether romantically or not? or god forbid what if some demon spirit is alive and well inside of the rock and then it attacks

01:33:49 - 01:34:14 | Speaker 2:

my family members you don't know well i think you're overthinking this but i will say this i have a buddy of mine who went to an estate sale bought the bedroom set of some rich lady that died and uh they put it in their house and he said he cannot have he does not had a good night's sleep since he got it because the old lady died in the bed he said he feels our own brains put in soup

01:34:14 - 01:34:36 | Speaker 1:

listen i agree i'm superstitious i do believe in in you know spirits and stuff like that but i also know science has told us like 120 billion people have walked this earth since the earliest of man every step of earth you you step on every air you breathe and the water you drink everything's been Touched by Former lives And all that stuff

01:34:36 - 01:34:47 | Speaker 3:

I don't know Okay but what if it was a rich person's ring And then I bring that rich person mentality Into my life What if I'm blessed with that That's the attitude you gotta have

01:34:47 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 1:

So might as well put some positive thought into it I guarantee you the old woman If she had a lifetime of horrible negativity She didn't think Okay I have to haunt somebody You know what I'm gonna pick that bed I bought

01:35:00 - 01:35:02 | Speaker 3:

Art Van 20 years ago, and I'm going to haunt that

01:35:00 - 01:35:29 | Speaker 1:

Thank you.

01:35:02 - 01:35:03 | Speaker 3:

for the next person. Chris, what's up?

01:35:05 - 01:35:05 | Unknown:

What's up?

01:35:05 - 01:35:09 | Speaker 4:

First time caller. Oh, long time listener. Welcome, Chris. Not a long time listener.

01:35:09 - 01:35:11 | Speaker 5:

Long time listener. I love it.

01:35:11 - 01:35:12 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely. What's going on?

01:35:13 - 01:35:26 | Speaker 5:

I just wanted to say, I just turned 28, and for my 28th birthday, my mom gave me my dad's wedding band from their divorce 20 years ago, and I personally love it. I think it made me who I am. I think there's maybe a reason that relationship didn't happen.

01:35:27 - 01:35:32 | Speaker 4:

Well, there's a reason why it did happen, because now you're here, right? Exactly.

01:35:32 - 01:35:41 | Speaker 5:

And they made me who I am, and I think maybe that relationship didn't work out. But if it's a nice ring, that's something she wants, then she should absolutely pick that up.

01:35:41 - 01:36:09 | Speaker 4:

I think that's actually a good thing. We've got a lot of listeners that have gone through divorces, and we've had divorces on our show. I think that that's the thing to do with a ring. I would give the ring to your child because especially if your child, you know, was made in the love of you guys being married. Why not give them the ring to be able to say, you know what, there wasn't anything wrong when we made you. So here you go. Here's the ring. That's a good idea.

01:36:09 - 01:36:10 | Speaker 2:

His name is Chris, right?

01:36:10 - 01:36:10 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

01:36:10 - 01:36:15 | Speaker 2:

Chris, hear me out. You already have the wedding band. You buy me the ring. Let's make this happen.

01:36:16 - 01:36:17 | Speaker 5:

I could make that a deal.

01:36:18 - 01:36:20 | Speaker 4:

And he sounds cute, too, right? Is that what you're saying?

01:36:21 - 01:36:23 | Speaker 2:

At this point, I don't care what he looks like.

01:36:24 - 01:36:25 | Speaker 1:

Company would be nice.

01:36:26 - 01:36:27 | Speaker 4:

Casey, what's up?

01:36:29 - 01:36:29 | Speaker 1:

Hi there.

01:36:30 - 01:36:30 | Speaker 4:

Hey.

01:36:30 - 01:36:34 | Speaker 1:

Hi. I was just calling to tell you about the ring situation.

01:36:35 - 01:36:35 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:36:36 - 01:36:52 | Speaker 1:

My wedding or my diamond for my wedding band is from my mom and my dad's marriage, and they didn't last either. And I think it's more sentimental than anything. And I definitely agree with Spike, and I don't think that everything has bad juju. So I think she should get it.

01:36:52 - 01:38:20 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's a good idea. All right. And if not, can we get it? We're going to get a hold of this thing. All right, Mojo on the morning show. Going to talk right now about customer service and how bad customer service has been, that it's now become such an interesting thing that, according to a new study, People are encountering more problems with companies, products, and services than ever before. And instead of just telling people, hey, I'm not happy with this or this was a really bad thing, they're now seeking revenge. 74% of people have experienced a product or service in the past year that they say was absolutely horrible. I mean, God, who hasn't been in a business or whatever and had bad customer service? Well, now these people are seeking more so to voice their revenge against them because they're so upset with how bad the customer service has gotten. And especially if you experienced it with companies that are like the big companies like the airlines, people are now taking the revenge and anger out on making sure that they make the airlines' lives miserable with some of the comments and posts that they'll put up on social media. By the way, why is it that the airline can get away with treating their customers as horrible as they do? It's a monopoly. We're desperate.

01:38:21 - 01:38:25 | Speaker 3:

If you only have three or four airlines to ever choose from, they don't need great customer service.

01:38:25 - 01:38:34 | Speaker 4:

It's the only thing I know that you spend that much money on, and they can basically just put a crap on you, and nobody does anything about it. It's crazy.

01:38:34 - 01:39:34 | Speaker 3:

So I'm torn about this study you're talking about because there's two angles. Obviously, it all depends on the offense, you know, because I've seen people, you get ripped off. You deserve to get taken care of, and sometimes you don't. So I understand the frustration and anger that it turns to when you someone, you know, if, say, for instance, like you said, the airline ruins your whole vacation and they don't give you a refund and this and that. But I also see a lot of customers in today's world feel so empowered, especially by social media, to go after businesses or even workers because they were slightly inconvenienced. And you see someone had bad service. So instead of saying, you know what, I'm never going to go to that restaurant again. They had bad service. They go, I'm going to ruin that business. I'm going to I'm going to close them. Like even with listeners upset about something we say on the air, it used to be, well, I'll change the channel. I'm not going to listen to them anymore. Now it's I am going to get them canceled and I am going to ruin their lives and I'm going to make sure they're out of work and homeless. You know, it's like, yeah, dude's chill. You had a bad day.

01:39:34 - 01:40:07 | Speaker 4:

The percentage of customers who have taken action to settle a score against a company through measures such as pestering or public shaming a person or a company online or in person has tripled, they say. The numbers have tripled because people are so angry with the way that they feel like customer service and things have gotten. It's crazy. And and honestly, it's gotten to a point now where just places just legit just are are closing up because of that.

01:40:07 - 01:40:52 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. So it's so funny. I I I hope my kids aren't in the car right now because Nicole, if they're in the car with you, turn the radio down because this was a surprise. I'm taking the kids on a little surprise road trip to Chicago in a couple of weeks. And my girlfriend just came back. She had just taken her kids and told me about this like really cool spy themed restaurant to take them to. And I was so excited with the day before yesterday. I like got a reservation and I, you know, I'm so excited to to give them this surprise. I just got an email yesterday morning. Place closed. You're kidding me. Oh, no. Wait, did you book? Did you book something with them? I did. I booked something with them and then got an email just saying they are permanently closing.

01:40:53 - 01:40:55 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh. I'm like, well. That was quick.

01:40:55 - 01:40:57 | Speaker 1:

Didn't even get to go before it closed.

01:40:58 - 01:41:04 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Did they, were they recently open or is it something that's been around for a while?

01:41:05 - 01:41:08 | Speaker 1:

That's a good question. I don't know. I have never heard of this place before.

01:41:08 - 01:41:08 | Speaker 4:

But your friend just told you about it.

01:41:08 - 01:41:09 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yeah.

01:41:09 - 01:41:25 | Speaker 4:

Do you ever see something that pops up And maybe you're driving on your drive And you see it and you're like Oh, I gotta try that place And it's only sometime later A quick time later It ends up closing Where it happens

01:41:25 - 01:41:33 | Speaker 2:

Then I feel guilt Oh, maybe I should have supported them earlier I know I know I always go Oh, I was just gonna go there

01:41:33 - 01:41:45 | Speaker 4:

I was just gonna try that place What is it that was yours? 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 that you wanted to go try or you wanted to go do and all of a sudden it ended up

01:41:45 - 01:42:23 | Speaker 1:

closing on you. You know what's so interesting is I was at the Andiamo wedding show over this past weekend and I talked to two or three different couples who had their weddings booked at the Dearborn Inn which is a really beautiful and very popular wedding venue in this area and I guess I and I did not know this I was told by these by these couples that they just up and canceled without notice all of their weddings for the next two years or something and I don't know if it's for like a renovation or if there was some sort of issue but yeah I mean that happens on a bigger

01:42:23 - 01:42:55 | Speaker 4:

scale too there is a new coffee place that's by my house anybody that lives in Commerce Township or you know Union Lake area you'll know what I'm talking about it's in front of the Kroger and And it's like just a little small coffee place. And I drove by it nonstop. It was just recently built. It looks like, do you remember, you guys might be too young, but do you remember the photo mats where it was just like a little singular place that one person could sit and fit in? And it was in the middle of a parking lot. It was like a middle of a parking lot. It looks like that.

01:42:55 - 01:42:57 | Speaker 1:

My girlfriend actually worked in one in high school. Did she? Yeah.

01:42:57 - 01:44:03 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so it looks like a photo mat. It's a coffee place that looks like it's just a singular place, like where one person goes, and you just order a new drive-thru, and you go pick it up. So I kept driving by it, and I never see cars in front of it. And now I'm going to tell you, please go visit it, because I did try it. It's in Union Lake. It's Congress Township. I don't even know what the hell the name of the place is. It's Coffee Something or whatever. So the other day, I didn't even want a coffee, and I thought of this before you – it's funny that you have this topic on there right now. I said, I'm going to try it just to see because I know I never see a coffee there. Who knows if it will be still open? God, I hope it does. I hope it survives because we need a coffee place. We don't have a Starbucks anywhere by us. So I ended up going, and it was actually really good. It was actually not bad. But I thought to myself, that's like one of those places where you're like, I want to try it. I just want to see what's going on. But it's one of those places that will go away. there was a chicken place by our house that I kept saying to Chelsea for the only time, we should try that place, we should try that place it's now a burger place

01:44:03 - 01:44:11 | Speaker 2:

no longer sometimes it's natural selection too you don't always know but maybe the chicken just wasn't that good so you couldn't maintain

01:44:11 - 01:44:14 | Speaker 4:

who is this, Angela?

01:44:14 - 01:44:15 | Speaker 3:

hi, good morning

01:44:15 - 01:44:20 | Speaker 4:

how you doing, what's the one thing you always wanted to try but then it was too late because it closed down

01:44:20 - 01:44:23 | Speaker 3:

Pablo Island

01:44:23 - 01:44:35 | Speaker 4:

any Detroiter would want to do that yeah yeah for detriters it was basically you know for anybody that didn't know what babelow island was it's you probably have seen t-shirts and stuff but it was basically you had to take

01:44:35 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 3:

a boat over to it right yeah so um i had i was part of a summer camp program and i forgot my permission slip at home and i was riding my bike home real quick to go get it signed and i flipped over the handlebars i ended up having to go to the hospital my parents promised they'll take me the bottle island by the time we were to go they already closed so yeah oh man oh man that's okay

01:44:59 - 01:45:05 | Speaker 4:

cedar points way better anyway except for it's not on a little island in detroit right what's going on tamika

01:45:05 - 01:45:24 | Speaker 1:

yeah hi um so the one thing that closed down i was actually um wanting to go see it um and actually wanted to get some food from this place and it's based off the fact that i was threatened as a domino's delivery driver and they're like we shouldn't order domino's no more you can't say That on the radio

01:45:24 - 01:45:40 | Speaker 4:

Although I kind of want to try it now So Papa's pizza Yeah close Oh spit What is it that you always wanted to try Jessica

01:45:40 - 01:45:53 | Speaker 6:

Well there was this restaurant Out in Plymouth called Carl's Cabin And it kind of had like an Outdoorsy woodsy field Yeah it just burned down didn't it It burned down

01:45:53 - 01:46:02 | Speaker 3:

it was really good jessica i wish i could have had oh man oh so good well it's kind of like

01:46:02 - 01:46:37 | Speaker 4:

what's the place that's up uh the the that classic hotel that's up by steve gabara up it does out ford and holly the holly inn i think it is right oh that was right that was and they're rebuilding that place but it was one of those places that everybody always used to say that it was such a beautiful old little you know place and then that was the same situation it's like you don't realize something until you it's gone kyle hello how's it going hey dramatic pause what's up what was the thing that you always wanted to try but then it closed

01:46:37 - 01:46:50 | Speaker 2:

so i was able to try uh the chocolate bar in cleveland but it closed like the very next week it was a bar with like all of their drinks had different kinds of like chocolate infused and it It was so dang good.

01:46:50 - 01:46:52 | Speaker 4:

How can a place that serves chocolate close?

01:46:52 - 01:46:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, what the heck?

01:46:54 - 01:46:56 | Speaker 4:

We can't even keep a chocolate place open.

01:46:57 - 01:47:02 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, because of COVID, they did have staffing issues, so they had to cool it down.

01:47:02 - 01:47:08 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that's such a bummer. And that's the situation that a lot of these smaller businesses are in. Yeah.

01:47:08 - 01:47:38 | Speaker 4:

By the way, the coffee place I was talking about, everybody's texting, is called Scooters. Have you ever heard of something like that before? I don't know if it's a chain or if it's an individual one, But that's that little photomad coffee place. That's kind of cool. There's been plenty of morning shows that were on Amp Radio back in the day that I always wanted to try. And they always, for some reason, they would be gone like six months later. I don't know what the story was. Maybe they all had somewhere to go or something. I don't know.

01:47:38 - 01:47:39 | Speaker 5:

Be nice. Don't give us.

01:47:40 - 01:47:41 | Speaker 4:

I'm just kidding.

01:47:41 - 01:47:47 | Speaker 5:

Do you guys remember Caesar Land? Oh, my God. The best. Oh, I missed that one. I had a birthday party there.

01:47:47 - 01:47:54 | Speaker 4:

But Caesarland was around for a long time. It was basically Chuck E. Cheese, but Little Caesars version. Yeah.

01:47:54 - 01:47:58 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. What? Yeah. They had a huge play place inside.

01:47:59 - 01:48:00 | Speaker 3:

A lot of birthday parties.

01:48:01 - 01:48:02 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. What's that?

01:48:02 - 01:48:04 | Speaker 5:

Did you have Discovery Zone?

01:48:04 - 01:48:06 | Speaker 4:

Oh, Discovery Zones were great.

01:48:06 - 01:48:10 | Speaker 5:

I'm going DC for Discovery Zone. I started home with a commercial. Heck yeah.

01:48:10 - 01:48:12 | Speaker 4:

Whatever happened to that place?

01:48:12 - 01:48:17 | Speaker 5:

And Major Magix. Oh, Major Magix. I have a Major Magix shirt still. Do you?

01:48:17 - 01:48:21 | Speaker 6:

I bought it from Jute Mode because they make them on Miss Major Magic so bad. Oh, my God.

01:48:21 - 01:48:30 | Speaker 5:

That was the best. That stupid alligator game I almost bought on the black market for, like, $2,000. I wanted it so bad.

01:48:31 - 01:48:43 | Speaker 4:

The places that I always love, and I don't understand, like, how they – I mean, maybe it's just bad customer service, but Circuit City was one of those ones, too. I don't know if you ever – Service Merchandise was another one.

01:48:43 - 01:48:44 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I loved Service Merchandise.

01:48:44 - 01:48:47 | Speaker 4:

And Best Buy is gone, right? Isn't it?

01:48:47 - 01:48:48 | Speaker 5:

No, it's still here.

01:48:48 - 01:48:48 | Speaker 4:

Is it?

01:48:48 - 01:48:49 | Speaker 5:

There's one right down on Orchard League.

01:48:50 - 01:48:51 | Speaker 4:

It's got to be going soon.

01:48:51 - 01:48:54 | Speaker 3:

Well, the problem is everybody buys all that stuff on Amazon. That sucks.

01:48:55 - 01:48:57 | Speaker 4:

I like to touch it, feel it. Or at like a Costco.

01:48:57 - 01:48:58 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I know.

01:48:59 - 01:49:04 | Speaker 4:

I feel like those stores were such great stores. Do you remember service merchandise at all?

01:49:05 - 01:49:14 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God, do I? There was one downriver. And first of all, I loved getting the catalog because the toys were always in the back. But you went and got the tag. And then you went up to the front and it came out on that conveyor belt.

01:49:14 - 01:49:26 | Speaker 4:

It came out on a conveyor belt to you. It was the wildest thing ever. Like, it wasn't one of those things where you just shop and then they say, okay, you would have to go to that conveyor belt area, and that was where you got it. I got a yellow skip it there.

01:49:26 - 01:50:10 | Speaker 3:

Do you remember Baker Square? Oh, my God. French silk pie. Yes. So Meg's mom searched all over for the French silk pie. And I guess over the last 20 years, the restaurant started disappearing. They closed the last locations in 2020 right before COVID started. It wasn't COVID. It was right before that. so there's only 11 left in ohio and chicago but now you can get the french silk pie from famous dave's barbecue yes oh really yeah something about the the family that owns famous dave's in novi roseville taylor and i think westland they bought the rights to sell the Baker Square French Silk Pies. But there was, I mean, same with Bill Knapp's. They had like 80 restaurants back in, you know, 20 years ago.

01:50:10 - 01:50:20 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. There are cakes available at the stores, right? You can get them now at like Meijer and. Spike, down south, the Baker Square Pies, the French Silk Pies are at places called Village Place.

01:50:20 - 01:50:20 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:50:21 - 01:50:28 | Speaker 1:

So they're at those. And they look kind of like a Baker Square almost. They kind of have like that. But, all right, Mojo in the Morning.

01:50:29 - 01:50:42 | Speaker 2:

Cheated on? Don't let revenge be in your plans. He'll screw himself over eventually. Another world-famous War of the Roses happens tomorrow morning at 7 and 9 on Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:50:43 - 01:50:46 | Speaker 1:

All right, we'll get you caught up on what's trending right now. Shannon, what do you got in this hour's Dirty on the 30?

01:50:46 - 01:52:23 | Speaker 4:

First, I have to start the Dirty with a shout-out because they're all listening right now. So a huge shout out and a big thank you to Mrs. Kirsch's fifth grade class at Ibbester Elementary School in Plymouth. They had me out for March's reading month yesterday. And so I got to hang out with all of these really cool fifth graders. And they made me promise. What did you read? I read a book about, I can't remember the title, but it was a book about Humpty Dumpty getting back up on the wall again. Okay. And not letting that affect him. I can't remember the name of that. Shoot. But it was a good book. It was a cute book. But they were cool kids. So I promised them I would say hello to them in this journey. So I want to catch you up on the what we're calling the Scandaval, the Vanderpump Rules scandal that you're seeing everywhere this morning. Tom Sandoval finally issued an apology to his longtime girlfriend, Ariana Maddox, following news of his months long affair with their co-star Raquel Levis. Last night, he actually got on Instagram to issue that apology. And he wrote, I made mistakes, I was selfish, and made reckless decisions that hurt somebody I love. No one deserves to feel that pain so traumatically and publicly. He said, I can only imagine how devastating this has been for Ariana and for everyone around us. I feel really horrible about that. My biggest regret is that I dishonored her. I never meant to disappoint so many people. He insisted his love for Ariana is stronger than any camera could have ever captured. And he wrote, I wish things happened differently, in different order, and our relationship was not severely tarnished, and that it ended with the same respect for her that it began with. I owed Ariana better.

01:52:24 - 01:52:31 | Speaker 3:

I'm not a Bravo person at all, but all the drama this weekend made me want to watch. I know. Made me want to go back and see what's this all about.

01:52:32 - 01:53:00 | Speaker 4:

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter, Princess Lilibet, has been christened in a small ceremony at their home in California. That moment happened last Friday. It was carried out by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Reverend John Taylor. There were about 20, 30 guests on hand, including Megan's mama and baby Lily's godfather, Tyler Perry. He was also hanging out. Do you guys know that Will Smith still has not personally apologized to Chris Rock?

01:53:00 - 01:53:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I remember he posted on his YouTube, but he was not very direct. He was quick, and people were saying, you didn't talk to him directly. YouTube doesn't count.

01:53:07 - 01:54:02 | Speaker 4:

And obviously now in the wake of Chris's Netflix special, Selective Outrage, he's saying he still has not received a personal, formal apology from Will. A source telling me he never, you know, Will released a bunch of teary-eyed public apology statements on the internet, but no one-on-one private apology from Will. And to Chris, that public one meant absolutely nothing. After rumors of Tom Brady making a comeback all over the place this morning, he is still trying to make it clear that he isn't returning to the NFL. On social media, I noticed he wrote yesterday, anyone who thinks I have time to come back to the NFL has never adopted a two-month-old kitten for their daughter. So now Vivi has two cats that she has roped her dad into getting her. Two Siamese kittens.

01:54:02 - 01:54:06 | Speaker 1:

All the sports talk shows are saying that he is coming back. They're all saying that.

01:54:06 - 01:54:08 | Speaker 4:

Really? So why would he say that? I don't know. Hope not happening.

01:54:09 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 1:

So the big rumor is that he's pretty much told Fox that, you know, I'm not coming to work for you guys next season, which a lot of people speculated that he was going to come and work for them. And they're speculating that him saying that I'm not going to come work for you next season is his way of saying he's going to play one more season. And a lot of people are saying that he would go to the San Francisco 49ers because he's from the Bay Area, and that's always been a dream of his because he was a big Joe Montana fan. But the other NFL rumor is Aaron Rodgers looks like all but done to be a Jack. Good night. Oh, no. No, not quitting, but going to be a Jack, they're saying. You're done. And they got a good team. Get out of the league. Get out. Listen, you know the interesting thing? How do you feel, Meg? Let me explain this to you. You hate him. You hate him until he's on your team.

01:55:00 - 01:55:03 | Speaker 3:

Think of all those Jets fans that would be like, absolutely, we want him on our team.

01:55:04 - 01:55:46 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, the $2 billion, there we go, Powerball winner will now be neighbors to Ariana Grande and Jimmy Kimmel after purchasing a $26 million Hollywood Hills mansion. Really? Last month, this guy claimed his one-time payment of $997.6 million, chose to remain private, well, because he just splashed so much money on his pad. We now know his name. It's Edwin Castro. And Edwin is the new owner of the 13,578-square-foot mansion with a full outdoor kitchen, steam spa, wine cellar, movie theater, infinity pool, five bedrooms, five bathrooms. And, yes, he now lives right next door to Ariana Grande.

01:55:46 - 01:55:54 | Speaker 3:

My favorite would be to live next to one of those people because you know what they do? If they never had money before and all of a sudden they're billionaires, they got –

01:55:54 - 01:55:57 | Speaker 1:

They are selling money to the – or selling pics to the paparazzi?

01:55:57 - 01:56:04 | Speaker 3:

They got, like, personal autographs of Ricky Bobby, you know. Yeah, by the way. They've got the Batmobile in their house, you know.

01:56:04 - 01:56:14 | Speaker 1:

This guy's also being sued by a former friend of his, another California resident, who alleges that he stole the winning ticket from him. So this is not what we have some drama here.

01:56:14 - 01:56:16 | Speaker 5:

This is why you don't go public, if you can.

01:56:16 - 01:56:20 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that sounds good.

01:58:15 - 01:58:29 | Speaker 3:

By the way, this has, like, been a dream come true. Like, you know, sometimes you know you made it when there's certain things going on. I always felt like in radio I made it when, you know, I got my very first T-shirt with the name on it. Now I've made it because I got a luge with my face on it.

01:58:29 - 01:58:32 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, big shout-out to Randy Finch and the Ice Guru crew. Thank you, Randy.

01:58:33 - 01:58:34 | Speaker 1:

I love that name, too, the Ice Guru.

01:58:34 - 01:58:39 | Speaker 3:

Ice Guru. What else does Randy do besides this, besides luges?

01:58:39 - 01:58:52 | Speaker 5:

So he does ice sculptures throughout West Michigan and Grand Rapids in general, but he also does events. He just started a brand-new event business. It's the Ice Guru Events. Thank you, Randy. And so he does lots of different stuff.

01:58:52 - 01:59:03 | Speaker 3:

Randy, Randy, Randy, could you get me? And I would like to have, because we call her the Ice Princess, a Megan ice sculpture for the Ice Princess.

01:59:03 - 01:59:04 | Speaker 1:

Just rip my heart out.

01:59:05 - 01:59:26 | Speaker 3:

The ultra-cold lady known as Megan McTher. All right, Mojo in the Morning Show. So I had a guy, acquaintance friend of mine, who I've only known for like six months or so. We met through a friend of a friend. Call me babe the other day.

01:59:27 - 01:59:28 | Speaker 2:

Who would do that?

01:59:28 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 3:

The exact content. No, this is not. Megan, I know you're a babe person. You like to say babe. This is actually a guy friend that said this. the exact contest was let's make plans to do it, babe because we were talking about going to Topgolf, a group of us and I got so taken back by the whole thing and I know it's not a big deal I mean, hey, I got no problem you want to call me babe, whatever you want to call me, that's fine but I googled what does it mean when a guy calls you babe

02:00:00 - 02:00:33 | Speaker 2:

And here are the results. You want to hear the results? Yeah. And you'll have to participate if you know a guy that does the babe thing all the time. He holds a certain level of attachment to you, even if it's just as a friend. That's one. Number two, he wants to act cool around you. Interesting. Number three, he wants to consider a future with you. I'd like to think that that's the case. Number four, he's interested in you sexually.

02:00:33 - 02:00:34 | Speaker 3:

Come on.

02:00:34 - 02:00:56 | Speaker 2:

And number five, he has known you for a while. Now, let's go through all of these. I haven't known him for a while. I don't think he wants to be interested in me sexually. He wants to consider a future with you, possibly. He wants to act cool around you. Maybe that might be it. I don't know.

02:00:56 - 02:00:59 | Speaker 3:

Or that's what he calls his wife, and he accidentally just said it to you.

02:00:59 - 02:01:05 | Speaker 2:

No, I swear to God, Shannon, it was as clean as Megan saying, babe.

02:01:05 - 02:01:10 | Speaker 1:

This is covering every angle of what the motivation could be or what they think of you.

02:01:10 - 02:01:24 | Speaker 2:

It was, I'm telling you, it was as clean as can be. Like, it was not a I love you thing like we talked about earlier. Right. It was a babe, period. Yeah, let's make plans to do that, babe.

02:01:24 - 02:01:41 | Speaker 1:

I have cousins who are, he's in real estate and he always calls, he'll say babe to everyone. And I, when I was hanging around, I was like, dude, you got to stop that. I'm like, you can't be meeting clients. Like, oh, I got the house for you, babe. I'm like, it's just, it sounds, I don't know. It sounds like you're from the seventies or something.

02:01:41 - 02:01:54 | Speaker 3:

Maybe the only soundtrack playing in his head is I got you, babe, Sonny and Cher. I call everybody dude, male or female, whatever you identify as. I call everybody dude.

02:01:54 - 02:01:56 | Speaker 2:

It's an annoying habit

02:01:56 - 02:01:58 | Speaker 3:

I annoy myself that I do it, but I do it all the time

02:01:58 - 02:02:28 | Speaker 2:

I said to another friend of ours About how he did this to me And I said, I actually was fine with it And he goes, you were, and I go, yeah, as long as he doesn't call me big guy Big guy, you hate big guy and you hate buddy I hate to be called big guy Buddy or Bud Bud, what's up, Bud? Hey, Bud, Bud makes me feel like he's like, yeah, go after yourself That's what Bud feels like What is it that you don't like When people call you or say to you 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548 is the telephone number.

02:02:32 - 02:02:42 | Speaker 4:

Yes! Yes! They say we're young and we don't know. We won't find out until we grow.

02:02:42 - 02:02:51 | Speaker 3:

I had an older gentleman the other day who was helping me pick out light bulbs, by the way. Call me Darling. Oh, Darling. And I did love that. I loved that. I didn't hate it.

02:02:51 - 02:02:53 | Speaker 2:

Especially if he's an older gentleman, right?

02:02:53 - 02:02:53 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:02:57 - 02:02:59 | Speaker 4:

I got you, babe.

02:03:00 - 02:03:01 | Speaker 2:

Hey, David.

02:03:02 - 02:03:02 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:03:03 - 02:03:04 | Speaker 2:

Hi. Who calls you, babe?

02:03:05 - 02:03:07 | Speaker 4:

My boss calls me, babe.

02:03:07 - 02:03:07 | Speaker 2:

Really?

02:03:08 - 02:03:14 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I just think quick passing. He'll just be like, hey, babe, I got this for you.

02:03:15 - 02:03:16 | Speaker 2:

Is he an older guy?

02:03:17 - 02:03:20 | Speaker 4:

Well, he's, I don't know, 35, 40.

02:03:21 - 02:03:23 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I like that. Hey, babe.

02:03:23 - 02:03:24 | Speaker 4:

Babe. Yeah.

02:03:26 - 02:03:31 | Speaker 2:

I got you, babe. Maybe he's calling you Dave, and you don't know what he's saying because your name's David.

02:03:32 - 02:03:36 | Speaker 4:

No, no, he's Texas. All right. He'll be like, hey, babe, can you come in?

02:03:37 - 02:03:45 | Speaker 2:

I love it. Maybe we're talking about the same guy. What's up, Jessica? How you doing? How are you? Good. Good. What do you not like to be called?

02:03:46 - 02:03:46 | Speaker 3:

Honey.

02:03:47 - 02:03:48 | Speaker 2:

Oh, man.

02:03:48 - 02:03:50 | Speaker 3:

I like honey. I know I don't mind honey either

02:03:50 - 02:03:53 | Speaker 2:

By a random guy You want to be called honey

02:03:53 - 02:03:55 | Speaker 3:

It's better than sweetheart

02:03:55 - 02:04:04 | Speaker 5:

I don't know Or if it's people that are the same age as me It's just so awkward Yeah

02:04:04 - 02:04:05 | Speaker 2:

I can see that

02:04:05 - 02:04:07 | Speaker 5:

I just can't explain it It's just so weird

02:04:07 - 02:04:11 | Speaker 2:

Yeah Charlie, hi What do you not like to be called?

02:04:12 - 02:04:13 | Speaker 5:

Toots

02:04:13 - 02:04:18 | Speaker 2:

Toots Toots Hey, toots I don't think I've ever been called toots Come on, see

02:04:18 - 02:04:39 | Speaker 5:

I was a manager of a store, and I had to talk with a coworker about certain actions and behaviors that he had, and he said, well, Toots, well, this is your last day.

02:04:39 - 02:04:41 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I don't know how you come back from that one.

02:04:42 - 02:04:43 | Speaker 5:

Emphasizing the need for the call.

02:04:46 - 02:04:48 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for the call. Take care of yourself.

02:04:49 - 02:04:50 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, no problem.

02:04:50 - 02:04:56 | Speaker 2:

Bye. Johnny. Yeah. What's up, buddy?

02:04:57 - 02:04:58 | Speaker 5:

Hey, how's it going?

02:04:58 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 2:

Good. What's going on?

02:05:00 - 02:05:03 | Speaker 4:

Oh, not much. Yeah, I don't like being called Bud.

02:05:03 - 02:05:06 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I just called you Buddy. Is Buddy better?

02:05:07 - 02:05:23 | Speaker 4:

Oh, kind of. I know I look young and sound young, but I'm 30. I spent eight and a half years in the Navy. We're young. We're young. I get Bud a lot, and I'm like, I'm a little bit older than that.

02:05:23 - 02:05:44 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Okay. Chelsea told me that I got to stop calling my sons and their friends kiddo. Like, I'll call him kiddo, and he said that that's degrading to, you know, somebody that my son's, you know, 27 years old, you know? Yeah, yeah, he's trying to feel older, so I get it. What's up, kiddo? And Chelsea goes, it makes you sound so old.

02:05:44 - 02:05:50 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's what my grandfather used to call his kiddo when I was 8 years old. My dad calls me still to this day.

02:05:50 - 02:05:54 | Speaker 2:

She's like, you're 52 years old, and you sound like you're 70. Hey, kiddo, what's going on?

02:05:54 - 02:05:57 | Speaker 3:

We all inevitably start saying all the things we hated when our parents said.

02:05:57 - 02:06:03 | Speaker 1:

Speaking of feeling old, I still can't stand it when people call me ma'am. Oh, that's awful.

02:06:03 - 02:06:05 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you would hate me. I'm so sorry.

02:06:06 - 02:06:18 | Speaker 1:

Well, and I say yes, ma'am, yes, sir, whatever. But I just feel like I am like. You don't want to be a ma'am. Yeah, I'm like my mom or my grandma. Someone calls me ma'am. Somebody says, can I help you, ma'am?

02:06:18 - 02:06:19 | Speaker 5:

I won't turn around. I won't answer.

02:06:20 - 02:06:25 | Speaker 3:

No, you're not talking to me. That is understandable because, Megan, you're young still. Shannon's kind of in Mamre.

02:06:27 - 02:06:31 | Speaker 1:

It is International Women's Day. You need to be nice to me this day.

02:06:32 - 02:06:39 | Speaker 2:

John, don't go anywhere. John, what's worse, being called Bud or Connor? What is yours?

02:06:41 - 02:06:45 | Speaker 4:

I hate being called Kid or Boss. Boss. Yeah.

02:06:46 - 02:06:47 | Speaker 1:

Boss is a creep.

02:06:47 - 02:06:50 | Speaker 2:

What about Boss, John? Johnny, do you like that?

02:06:51 - 02:06:57 | Speaker 4:

Boss? Not so much. I feel like I'm too young to earn that title still. Yeah, what's up, boss?

02:06:57 - 02:07:18 | Speaker 3:

You know what I got yesterday walking around the neighborhood? It was such a nice day. I took a walk, and the guy on the other street behind me, I was walking by the driveway, and I hear him go, Hey, what's up, big guy? And I was thinking, I have never been called big guy in my entire life. I'm only 5'6". I didn't even turn around at first because I didn't think he was talking to me.

02:07:18 - 02:07:23 | Speaker 2:

Well, I always feel like when they call me big guy, they're not talking about my height. They're talking about my weight.

02:07:23 - 02:07:27 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. No, no, don't want that.

02:07:27 - 02:07:32 | Speaker 2:

No. All right. Well, Johnny, I don't know how to say goodbye to you. I'm a little nervous to say goodbye to you.

02:07:33 - 02:07:39 | Speaker 4:

I appreciate you guys' answer, and I love you guys so much. Thank you. Thanks for listening. It's Mojo in the Morning.

02:07:41 - 02:07:42 | Unknown:

Sweet.

02:07:43 - 02:07:45 | Speaker 4:

Five lies to tell your mom. Frank.

02:07:46 - 02:07:47 | Speaker 2:

Hey, what's going on?

02:07:47 - 02:07:47 | Unknown:

How are you?

02:07:47 - 02:08:11 | Speaker 2:

You got a crazy Italian mom, huh? Well, she's actually my grandma, but she's definitely my mom to me. Ain't she a little nuts? She's crazy, man. All right. Let's see what happens here this morning when we do five lies to tell your mom. Lie number one. All right. You're going to say, I took all the pennies from the jar. Oh, man. Obviously, she's saving her pennies, huh?

02:08:11 - 02:08:13 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, she's weird, man.

02:08:15 - 02:08:16 | Speaker 2:

Lie number two.

02:08:16 - 02:08:19 | Speaker 1:

Say, and I went to the strip club instead of going to work today.

02:08:20 - 02:08:20 | Unknown:

Ooh.

02:08:21 - 02:08:23 | Speaker 2:

Lie number three.

02:08:23 - 02:08:26 | Speaker 3:

You didn't have enough change to cover my lap dances.

02:08:27 - 02:08:28 | Speaker 2:

Oh, man.

02:08:28 - 02:08:30 | Speaker 3:

Lie number four.

02:08:30 - 02:08:32 | Speaker 5:

So I need you to bring me $1,000.

02:08:33 - 02:08:46 | Speaker 2:

$1,000? Oh, jeez. And lie number five. Or Cinnamon says she's calling the police. Cinnamon. Okay. Try my hardest. All right, we're going to call her up. All right.

02:08:50 - 02:09:01 | Speaker 6:

Hello? Nona.

02:09:02 - 02:09:02 | Speaker 5:

Yeah?

02:09:02 - 02:09:03 | Speaker 6:

I need to talk to you.

02:09:04 - 02:09:09 | Speaker 5:

What? You know your penny jar? My what?

02:09:09 - 02:09:10 | Speaker 6:

Your penny jar.

02:09:11 - 02:09:12 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:09:12 - 02:09:17 | Speaker 6:

Well, I took it. You took it? Yeah, I took it and I cashed it in.

02:09:18 - 02:09:22 | Speaker 5:

Why did you do that? You would have asked me for money, Frank.

02:09:23 - 02:09:27 | Speaker 6:

Well, I didn't want to ask you. I just wanted the penny jar.

02:09:28 - 02:09:31 | Speaker 5:

If you would have asked me for money, I would have given it to you.

02:09:32 - 02:09:36 | Speaker 6:

Well, I went to the strip club with it today, you know, and I started going to work.

02:09:38 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 5:

Where did you go today? The strip club. What's the strip club? The girls. Where you pay for lap dances and they, you know, the strip club. I don't know what's a street club. Where the girls take off their clothes and pay them for dances. So what do you want now? Listen.

02:10:00 - 02:10:08 | Speaker 8:

I didn't have enough change. I didn't have enough pennies, they said. And I got in trouble when I was in there. I need you to bring me $1,000.

02:10:10 - 02:10:28 | Speaker 7:

Are you kidding, Frank? What? You are kidding me, aren't you? I don't have $1,000. Come on, I need $1,000. You can't tell Dad. No, you're talking to Dad. I'm not going to do nothing. You were supposed to go to work today.

02:10:30 - 02:10:43 | Speaker 8:

Work, smirk. I like the strip club. What can I say? No, you weren't supposed to go to work today. How did you get in trouble, Frank? Because Cinnamon said she's going to call the police if I don't bring her her money, Nona.

02:10:44 - 02:10:45 | Speaker 7:

Who is this?

02:10:46 - 02:11:06 | Speaker 8:

Cinnamon. She's a dancer. Why do you have to bring her money? Because I owe them it. I had too many dancers. I didn't have enough money. I didn't have enough pennies and stuff. I need $1,000. The Cinnamon's calling the police, Nona. Is this Frankie's grandma?

02:11:07 - 02:11:22 | Speaker 3:

Yes, it is. How you doing? I'm doing fine. We're at the strip club right now, and I've got a girl here very angry. Her name is Cinnamon, and she wants her money. And where are you? My name is Bobby. I run the strip club. Okay, where's the club?

02:11:22 - 02:11:29 | Speaker 6:

Nona, I want my money. I want my $1,000. Okay, what am I... You give me the address.

02:11:29 - 02:11:30 | Speaker 7:

I'll bring you the $1,000.

02:11:30 - 02:11:33 | Speaker 6:

I shook my boobies in Frankie's face, and he owes me $1,000.

02:11:35 - 02:11:36 | Speaker 7:

Really?

02:11:36 - 02:11:41 | Speaker 6:

Yes, ma'am. Why did you do that? Because he paid me to do it.

02:11:41 - 02:11:55 | Speaker 7:

Why did you put the boobie in Frankie's face? Because I'm trying to pay for college. Oh, really? So is him. He needs money for college, too.

02:11:55 - 02:11:59 | Speaker 6:

Well, he made it rain with pennies, but he didn't have enough pennies.

02:11:59 - 02:12:03 | Speaker 7:

Okay, listen. Give me the address. I bring the $1,000.

02:12:04 - 02:12:08 | Speaker 3:

You will. Okay. All right, we need it in cash. No check or funny business.

02:12:09 - 02:12:12 | Speaker 7:

I'm sorry. I only have a check in my house.

02:12:12 - 02:12:22 | Speaker 3:

I don't have cash or money. Ah, listen to you. Last time that we let a grandma come down and pay us in a check, we ended up getting arrested. I don't have a s***.

02:12:25 - 02:12:32 | Speaker 7:

You want some s***? I'm going to bring it to you. I'm going to do it right now and bring it to you.

02:12:32 - 02:12:37 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Frank, tell your grandma what you're doing.

02:12:38 - 02:12:43 | Speaker 2:

Nona, it's the radio station. We're just kidding with you.

02:12:43 - 02:12:54 | Speaker 3:

It's a radio station. It's Mojo in the morning, and you're on the radio right now for something that we call five lies to tell your mom. Oh, my God.

02:12:54 - 02:13:05 | Speaker 7:

You know, I was going to get you an address, okay? And I was going to call the police and send them to you.

02:13:06 - 02:13:08 | Speaker 3:

I'm glad I didn't give you my address.

02:13:09 - 02:13:21 | Speaker 6:

Well, my God. All your pennies are still there. Do you want me to get out of tech or maybe yourself? We love you, Grandma.

02:13:22 - 02:13:22 | Speaker 8:

I love you, Nona.

02:13:23 - 02:13:30 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Nona, now that we know it's all a joke, how about we all come over, you make us some gnocchis and some homemade sauce? For sure. Oh, yeah.

02:13:31 - 02:13:32 | Speaker 7:

You can come anytime.

02:13:32 - 02:13:35 | Speaker 2:

Wait a minute, this is a trick, too. She's going to get us arrested when we get over there.

02:13:37 - 02:13:41 | Speaker 7:

All you got to do is tell me when you come in, I'm making gnocchi and pressure sauce.

02:13:41 - 02:13:47 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Grandma, we are going to give you a huge prize for being on the radio with us this morning.

02:13:47 - 02:13:51 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God. Are you bullshitting me?

02:13:52 - 02:13:55 | Speaker 3:

We are not. We would never do that to you, Grandma.

02:13:56 - 02:14:04 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. Now, Grandma, you've got to promise us one thing. What? You can't tip the waiters with pennies.

02:14:05 - 02:14:07 | Speaker 7:

Did you really took my pennies?

02:14:08 - 02:14:13 | Speaker 3:

No. It's all going to be taken care of. You're going to be all right. Okay.

02:14:14 - 02:14:16 | Speaker 4:

It's Mojo in the Morning. Five, two, three, four, five.

02:14:17 - 02:14:17 | Unknown:

Sweet.

02:14:18 - 02:14:34 | Speaker 4:

Five lies to tell your mom. The first red flag of a lying, cheating dirtbag husband, he gets mad and calls you crazy when you confront him about the girl he's been texting. Another world-famous War of the Roses happens tomorrow morning at 7 and 9 on Mojo in the Morning.

02:14:36 - 02:14:38 | Speaker 3:

What do you got coming up in the dirty in just a little bit?

02:14:38 - 02:14:55 | Speaker 5:

We will talk more about a restraining order that was just filed against two Vanderpump Rules stars. And the Hollywood stars who actually make more in a single second than most of us make in an entire year, who is tapping that list?

02:14:55 - 02:15:07 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I hate those ones. Those are always the ones you hate so much, right? Whenever you like. Like, look at the – I looked at the – they did that on ESPN recently where they showed you how much each player is using.

02:15:07 - 02:15:07 | Speaker 1:

In a second.

02:15:08 - 02:15:18 | Speaker 3:

And they did it based on minutes in a game or minutes that they played in a game. And it was like – I forget what LeBron's was, but I think it was LeBron made –

02:15:18 - 02:15:21 | Speaker 2:

Like, I fart and LeBron makes $12,000 during that fart.

02:15:21 - 02:16:43 | Speaker 3:

He made – I think it was he made $30,000 for every second that there is in a game that he plays. So every second that he's in a game, every second he's making a $30,000 or something like that. All right. Yes, it is crazy. Yes. I got ADD going today in a big way. Seriously. I was driving to work, and as I was driving to work, so I got a phone call from Joe. It's kind of cool. You know, it's really cool to have a son that works and does what you do. But he called me up at 4.50 or whatever. What are you doing? And I go, what do you mean, what am I doing? Not only have you been my son for 27 years, but you also do what I do. What do you think I'm doing? I'm driving to work. And he goes, no, no, I know. I just want, you know, that's what I'm going to say. And so we drove on the way to work together, and we were talking. And as we're talking and kind of doing our thing, I look up and I go, holy crap, I missed my exit. It was one of those situations. Yeah. And I thought it was an ADD moment as much as it was. Actually, it was like a cool moment for him. I was excited for him. So he does the morning show in Tampa. And this is like the second time now that Elvis Duran, who for those that don't know radio or not radio geeks like we are, Elvis is the king of kings in radio.

02:16:43 - 02:16:52 | Speaker 2:

Kind of started the whole format of morning radio. He's one of the people that pioneered the whole idea of a bunch of people coming in and entertaining, not just playing music in the morning.

02:16:52 - 02:17:22 | Speaker 3:

Z100 in New York, but also syndicated on all these stations. Well, for the second time in like a year and a half, Elvis was listening to Joe's show on his podcast, heard a bit that they did, and actually took the bit that he did and started doing it on his show. So cool. And called him, or the first time I think he wrote to him, or reached out and wrote to him, called him personally and said, hey, I just wanted to let you know. I was like blown away by that. Because in radio, we all steal from everybody.

02:17:22 - 02:17:27 | Speaker 1:

you know what I mean like we all do that but to ask for permission and give Joe credit and say

02:17:27 - 02:17:53 | Speaker 3:

this was cool I want to use it so then he says then he says to to Joe this is where it gets really cool and this is honestly a proud dad moment for me he says to Joe he goes what do you got going on next week and Joe just didn't know what to say and he says ah just the show but that's it nothing why and Elvis goes I'm sending you a plane ticket I want you to come and just hang out with us in our studio and just be with us. I want your vibes around our show. Shut up.

02:17:54 - 02:17:54 | Speaker 2:

Wow.

02:17:54 - 02:18:18 | Speaker 3:

So after today's show, Joe is going to the airport and he's flying out for like a day. He's going to go, I think, have dinner with Elvis tonight and then tomorrow just hang out on a show. And then Elvis got him a hotel room, a plane ticket, and taking him to dinner. And then tomorrow he'll just go on a plane and go back to Tampa.

02:18:18 - 02:18:18 | Speaker 1:

That is so cool.

02:18:18 - 02:18:19 | Speaker 3:

Is that unbelievable?

02:18:19 - 02:18:20 | Speaker 2:

It's very cool.

02:18:20 - 02:18:22 | Speaker 1:

And what a testament to who Elvis is, too.

02:18:22 - 02:18:23 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that amazing?

02:18:23 - 02:18:24 | Speaker 1:

As a person.

02:18:25 - 02:19:01 | Speaker 3:

And for those that don't know this, when we started the Mojo in the Morning Show way back when, Spike and myself and Sarah and Chad and Eric, Elvis oversaw our show. Like Elvis was our, he was, they called him mentors. He was a mentor. And remember how great he was with us when we first started? But he's always been that way. And I thought to myself with this, man, that would be so cool to have somebody just call you up and send you a plane ticket. And then I started thinking, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to do that with another show, like how Elvis did, because that's kind of a cool moment to do that.

02:19:01 - 02:19:15 | Speaker 2:

I was just going to joke with you that now, full circle, 20 years later, you're mentoring a lot of new up-and-coming iHeartRadio shows. I was going to say, how long before New Era calls and wants a plane ticket? But you're saying you might actually do it.

02:19:15 - 02:19:19 | Speaker 3:

No, here's what I want to do. You have to be in driving distance of Detroit to do it.

02:19:20 - 02:19:22 | Speaker 2:

I'll pay for your gas. I'll get a gas card.

02:19:23 - 02:19:28 | Speaker 3:

And you can stay in, like, Joe's bedroom. Like, we have extra bedrooms or something like that, you know?

02:19:29 - 02:19:29 | Speaker 2:

Right, right.

02:19:29 - 02:19:36 | Speaker 3:

Mike, this is for you in Grand Rapids, buddy. You come over here. I got a Speedway gas card for you. You can stay up in, what do you think?

02:19:36 - 02:19:37 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:19:37 - 02:19:39 | Speaker 3:

You know I would do it in a hotel. I know you would. I know.

02:19:39 - 02:19:41 | Speaker 2:

You don't have that Elvis money. I mean, that's different.

02:19:41 - 02:20:04 | Speaker 3:

No, but I will say this about Elvis. I'm going to go on record with this. The guy is, he is so, I love, will you do me a favor? If you're on social media at all and you see them, tell Elvis that Mojo in the morning, all of us here. have man crushes on him that we just love him so much and love what he does i hear so many stories

02:20:04 - 02:20:25 | Speaker 2:

he's such a positive guy yeah and behind this the curtain i hear so many stories in this industry that that things he's done and how he's helped people but he never wants credit like you don't hear these stories until like our friends in radio are hanging out drinking together you're like you're what elvis did and it's just he's just such a charitable kind guy yeah i actually

02:20:25 - 02:22:04 | Speaker 3:

reached out to him and sent him a text over the weekend and i said to him i go i go you have no idea like literally i had tears as a dad you know i hate talking i have tears as a dad because i don't want to get too involved with joe because i don't want people to think it's daddy ball you know what i mean like little league coaches you know always coach their kids and they're playing shortstop all the time and so i try to kind of like let him be on his own and there are times where i see others that are working with his show or that you know are involved in the show that I feel like maybe aren't the most positive of influences, and I'm like, man, I want to get more involved with him. But to know that Elvis is such a mentor for him, honestly, I feel like he's good. He's in a good place. And I've always been, as Chelsea will attest to this, in years of coaching my kids, I never played daddy ball. I actually went the opposite way, which I regret dearly. When I coached my kids, and Mike, when you coached Cecily and Milo, don't screw this thing up. You have every right to play your kid wherever the hell you want to play your kid. I would not play my kids because I thought people were thinking about favoritism and my kids weren't the greatest at certain things. And then I looked at it going, my kid got screwed. He never got the playing time that he deserved. So definitely, if you coach, you put the hours in, you deserve to do that. Looking back on it now. All right. It's a mojo in the morning show. What do we got here? We got the dirty coming up. I think I got time for another topic. Spike, the other than the date.

02:22:05 - 02:22:29 | Speaker 2:

Can I ask listeners if anyone's ever reached out to you on a dating app, but they didn't want a date? They wanted something else. And what was that? Because I was talking to Lydia this morning, and she was saying, like, sometimes she'll get, you know, guys will hit her up on dating apps. Lydia, come in here. But it's because they want a job in radio, and they're like, hey, you got connections. Can you hook me up? Do they really?

02:22:30 - 02:22:30 | Speaker 1:

Yep.

02:22:30 - 02:22:32 | Speaker 2:

They ask? They do it to you too, Megan?

02:22:32 - 02:22:39 | Speaker 1:

Yep. Reading app? You wouldn't believe how many people are more interested in what we do than who we are. Yeah. It's so annoying.

02:22:39 - 02:22:43 | Speaker 2:

It is, because you're all there for a common purpose. I mean, you're there to find a date.

02:22:43 - 02:22:48 | Speaker 1:

no a guy literally asked me for my email so he could send his resume when i was on hinge

02:22:48 - 02:23:39 | Speaker 2:

wow buy me dinner first dude well the reason i was talking to lydia about this is because a woman contacted a guy i know on tinder when she saw he was a panasonic repairman like a tv repairman and she messaged him and he's like oh good i made a match well she's having trouble with her tv and had questions and how to set up it's one of those smart tvs and she'd understand yeah so he answered her trying to be nice thinking this is going somewhere and then nope she did not want to date that was it and he was like well why don't we get together he's like or i could help you with the tv if you want uh we can get coffee and she's like no that's it you answer my questions thanks aren't there aren't there apps for that yes can't you just or google poor guy got all excited it was probably the first time someone swiped on him that brings

02:23:39 - 02:24:11 | Speaker 3:

up a really interesting point how many people have ever dated somebody on an app actually went you know went on the date but only dated them because you wanted to have them in your pocket because they were like a plumber or uh you know an electrician or a discount at whatever store they worked at worked maybe i worked in a car dealership or something can get you a discount on a car uh 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 what's up megan how you doing good what did Did you have a person that you met on a dating app ask you?

02:24:12 - 02:24:21 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so this guy I met on Tinder, he told me he just got a new apartment, and he asked me if I would come over and do his laundry for him.

02:24:21 - 02:24:35 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. You have some big balls if you're asking that. You should have said yes and then just throw it out. Just put it in a dumpster or do it really bad, shrink everything. Turn it all pink. Bleach it all. Yep.

02:24:36 - 02:24:48 | Speaker 3:

That's amazing, though, that somebody would be so bold as to do that. That must have been something that he's done in the past that girls thought were cute. I would think that a girl would look at that as disgusted by the whole thing.

02:24:49 - 02:24:55 | Speaker 1:

I was, like, considering it. I was, like, you know, maybe if you buy me dinner or something, but then I was, like, kind of pathetic.

02:24:56 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I know that there are some guys that.

02:25:00 - 02:25:17 | Speaker 2:

have been on dating apps that said that they have girls that will go look at them on social media and they live kind of like good lives, like where they'll go out to restaurants and bars and fun places and they will hit them up on social media or on the dating apps only because they figure that they're going to be able to go to these cool places and do certain things.

02:25:17 - 02:25:18 | Speaker 1:

Get a free dinner.

02:25:18 - 02:25:19 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Get something.

02:25:19 - 02:25:19 | Speaker 1:

Some free drinks.

02:25:20 - 02:25:22 | Speaker 2:

Get something good out of it. What's up, Mojo in the morning? Hello.

02:25:23 - 02:25:30 | Speaker 5:

Hi. I was listening in, and I was inquiring what Mojo was talking about.

02:25:30 - 02:25:35 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Have you ever had a guy hit you up on a dating app for something other than a date?

02:25:35 - 02:26:21 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah. I mean, I'm an established mother now, but when I used to play the game, I went on a date with one guy in particular, and he had makeup. He would wear makeup under his beard. He asked me to go to Kohl's so he could pick up some boots for our date, and it was kind of strange. Really? So I was like, okay, you know, maybe your feet hurt, so no big deal. But when I got off the stage, he met my dad, and he followed my dad almost up the stairs. My dad was like, okay, man, I'm going to bed now. I've got to work in the morning. And the guy just followed my dad almost upstairs. And I wake up in the morning, and my dad's like, is that fruit loop gone yet? And I'm like, yeah, Dad, he's gone.

02:26:21 - 02:26:23 | Speaker 2:

What was the story? What was his story? Why was he doing that?

02:26:23 - 02:26:24 | Speaker 3:

What a weirdo.

02:26:25 - 02:26:34 | Speaker 5:

Maybe he just was really insecure about himself. But I just had a girl who will all date guys that I know have that problem.

02:26:34 - 02:26:38 | Speaker 3:

Well, when you were dating this guy and you went to Kohl's, did he ask you to pay for the boots?

02:26:40 - 02:26:42 | Speaker 5:

No, he paid for it. He just wanted to run an errand, I guess.

02:26:42 - 02:26:47 | Speaker 2:

Oh, instead of going on a date, he would have you go on his errands with him. What's up, Jessica?

02:26:48 - 02:26:51 | Speaker 4:

Okay, first of all, that last caller, that's a dateline story.

02:26:51 - 02:26:57 | Speaker 7:

Mine is very pale in comparison

02:26:57 - 02:27:11 | Speaker 4:

But when I was in college I dated a doctor because I was off My parents health insurance And I didn't have health insurance So whenever I needed a prescription Or advice or had medical I had a doctor in my back pocket

02:27:11 - 02:27:15 | Speaker 2:

Oh my god, that's genius That is so genius What's up Amanda?

02:27:16 - 02:27:17 | Speaker 6:

Hi Mojo

02:27:17 - 02:27:26 | Speaker 2:

Hey, what's going on? We're talking about guys that will hit you up on dating apps for something other than a date yeah so my best

02:27:26 - 02:27:43 | Speaker 6:

friend and i were hanging out and we were on my tinder like a few months ago when i was single and basically we found her boyfriend on there so we matched with him on purpose to see if he would like hit me up and like the first message that he sent when we matched was an apology to her

02:27:43 - 02:27:48 | Speaker 7:

Whoa She got kind of crafty

02:27:48 - 02:27:52 | Speaker 6:

For being on Tinder And kind of being like caught You know

02:27:52 - 02:27:56 | Speaker 2:

So he was using you just to get a message to a friend

02:27:56 - 02:27:59 | Speaker 6:

Yes Because he knew we were together

02:27:59 - 02:28:04 | Speaker 2:

You know what that is That's middle school and handing notes to each other

02:28:04 - 02:28:05 | Speaker 6:

It's totally that

02:28:05 - 02:28:07 | Speaker 2:

He's 31

02:28:07 - 02:28:10 | Speaker 6:

Tell me why he's doing this at 31 years old

02:28:10 - 02:28:13 | Speaker 2:

Yeah that's crazy Alright thank you for the call

02:28:13 - 02:28:16 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:28:16 - 02:28:19 | Speaker 2:

We'll get a look at what's trending right now, our last Dirty on the 30 for the morning.

02:28:19 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 1:

Man, this Vanderpump Rules drama is poof. One of the stars of the show, the one that you keep hearing about, Raquel Levis, just filed for a temporary restraining order against her former friend and co-star Sheena Shea after getting some backlash over her affair with Tom Sandoval. Raquel and Tom are the ones that have been going behind backs on the show and doing their thing. Allegedly, though, Sheena and Raquel got into a pretty heated confrontation outside of a bar last week when Tom's longtime girlfriend, Ariana, found sexually explicit text messages, naughty videos on his phone. Sheena is team Ariana, by the way. Also, an update here. Raquel just had her attorney send a legal letter to her fellow cast members asking them to delete the video of her that was found on Tom's phone. Because, of course, once one person saw it, it got texted to everybody else in the cast. She's asking them to stop sharing the video claiming it was recorded illegally without her knowledge or consent. And then there's this. Raquel and Tom spotted Smoochin in their first post-Scandalball scene for Vanderpump Rules Season 10. Multiple people who were there when the filming happened on Saturday saw it. They did kiss on camera. It took place at Raquel's North Hollywood apartment. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers talking with the New York Jets this week regarding a potential offseason trade. He and the Jets spoke on Monday. I do believe they spoke yesterday as well. And according to NFL rules, the Jets had to get permission from the Packers to speak with Aaron because he remains under control.

02:30:00 - 02:30:30 | Speaker 2:

contract um if they didn't do that there they would be hit with some tampering penalties but uh Aaron is considering a return to the Packers a trade or retirement he said last week he'll make a decision soon enough so we got Nick Cannon and Kevin Hart have teamed up to host a very interesting new reality show maybe on e called who's having my baby where female contestants will compete against one another to have Nick's 13th child.

02:30:30 - 02:30:42 | Speaker 3:

Having my baby with Nick Cannon! You got time, bro! Yeah! You're going to get some contestants that want to have your baby. We're not kidding around.

02:30:42 - 02:31:04 | Speaker 2:

Me, me, me, my name. Let's go! Who's Having My Baby with Nick Cannon, hosted by Kevin Hart, this spring. So that trailer dropped yesterday. It's up on the Dirty Page. And I'm trying to figure out if this is real or not. I think it might be a promotion For Kevin Hart's new sketch comedy show And it might not be a real show But I don't know That's what's so sad

02:31:04 - 02:31:09 | Speaker 4:

Is reality is so distorted with him That we don't know if it's real or not Yeah

02:31:09 - 02:31:16 | Speaker 1:

Has there ever been a show like that Where they gave away a chance to get pregnant And get by the person

02:31:16 - 02:31:21 | Speaker 4:

Isn't the problem then That he's financially responsible For a stranger's baby

02:31:21 - 02:31:24 | Speaker 2:

I feel like there's so much to it

02:31:24 - 02:31:30 | Speaker 3:

And lastly a new survey finds

02:31:30 - 02:32:07 | Speaker 2:

That some Hollywood stars are actually making more In one single second Than most of us do In an entire year You know who's topping this list is Sandra Bullock She's worth nearly $95,000 For every second That she's on the screen In her recent Oscar nominated films Sir Ian McKellen Coming in second, $90,000 for each second he graces the screen. After those two, the drop-off is pretty significant. Kate Winslet coming in third. Whoopi coming in fourth. Justin Hoffman fifth. They earn around $75,000 per second.

02:32:07 - 02:32:10 | Speaker 1:

These are all like actors and actresses I would never have guessed.

02:32:10 - 02:32:25 | Speaker 2:

Well, because remember, it has to be a part of an Oscar-nominated film. That's specific to this list with the Oscars being this weekend. Probably not a lot of screen time If they're doing it per second Right, Tom Hanks, 73 grand a second Julia Roberts, 52 grand a second

02:32:25 - 02:32:43 | Speaker 1:

Can I ask you a question? This could be even a topic Are there certain movies that when you see them pop up And you're just watching them You end up having to watch The Blind Side is one of those movies where If it's on, I just have to watch them And they always end up picking it up at the same place Where Sandra Bullock's at football practice

02:32:43 - 02:32:48 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I love that movie The Holiday is that for me If the holiday is ever on, I'm watching it. Or Love Actually.

02:32:49 - 02:32:54 | Speaker 4:

Dirty Dancing. It's always on somewhere 24 hours a day. And if you stumble on it, you end up watching the rest of it all the way up.

02:32:55 - 02:32:58 | Speaker 2:

02:33:15 - 02:33:40 | Speaker 1:

it is your home of the phone scams Elaine wants us to call Archie this weekend while he was at work a snow plow dinged his car door and he's been waiting for a call back from the plow company Spike is not very good with customer service you'll hear in this phone scam Mojo in the Morning, your home of the phone scams

02:33:40 - 02:33:49 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning Mojo in the morning. Home of the world-famous phone scams. Hello?

02:33:50 - 02:33:56 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, this is Phil from Toilet Landscaping. Calling for Archie? Is that your name? Yeah. That's your name, huh?

02:33:56 - 02:33:57 | Speaker 5:

Right, yeah.

02:33:57 - 02:34:03 | Speaker 4:

Okay. There's a note on my desk. You had to complain about our services. Can you let me know what's going on?

02:34:03 - 02:34:07 | Speaker 5:

One of your snow plows apparently bumped into my car.

02:34:07 - 02:34:09 | Speaker 4:

Your car was in the lot when they plowed it?

02:34:10 - 02:34:18 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. There was no notice. Nobody told me to move it. I assumed that whoever was doing it would pay attention to vehicles.

02:34:18 - 02:34:22 | Speaker 4:

Well, I'm just wondering because how do you know it was my driver that hit your car?

02:34:23 - 02:34:34 | Speaker 5:

Because your driver, your vehicle, was the only vehicle that came through there. I was probably inside for about, I don't know, three or four minutes getting my coffee. It was fine when I came out. I saw your vehicle come in. Wow.

02:34:34 - 02:34:45 | Speaker 4:

Your vehicle was the only one that was there. That's amazing. That's amazing that you saw the plow come in, but you had to get coffee instead of moving your car so he could clear your parking lot.

02:34:46 - 02:34:54 | Speaker 5:

I made the assumption that your driver was a careful driver and would not run into vehicles.

02:34:54 - 02:34:58 | Speaker 4:

You know what they say about assuming? They say it means you're an a**hole.

02:34:58 - 02:35:07 | Speaker 5:

Your driver ran into a car.

02:35:00 - 02:35:08 | Speaker 2:

my car we need to get this fixed first we need to go through the basics here and find out if that's really what happened where was the car damaged it was damaged in the driver's side door

02:35:08 - 02:35:25 | Speaker 4:

i i can i can send you guys a picture um of the dent um i've called you guys before a picture of the plow hitting the driver's side door no i've got a picture of the dent in the door that wasn't there before your your vehicle came into the parking lot what kind of car is it it's a bmw

02:35:25 - 02:35:50 | Speaker 2:

well if you could afford a car like that then you must have more money than me maybe you can take care of the door thing and not worry about it okay this is getting ridiculous what's ridiculous is we get these kind of complaints all the time people and i'm not saying this is you necessarily but a lot of people see a plow and they see dollar signs like oh i can file some kind of false claim and collect some money here you don't even have proof that my truck hit your car your vehicle was

02:35:50 - 02:36:08 | Speaker 4:

the only vehicle in there in the time period that this happened any reasonable insurance company would say this was what the damage called for i'm calling you guys as a reasonable person saying you guys caused this to happen be reasonable people and take responsibility caused it to

02:36:08 - 02:36:14 | Speaker 2:

happen you saw the snowplow coming to do their job you just left your car in the middle of the

02:36:14 - 02:36:23 | Speaker 4:

parking lot and you think it's our wasn't in the middle of the parking lot it was parked properly Your driver should have Watched where they were going

02:36:23 - 02:36:29 | Speaker 2:

You got any Surveillance footage or cameras Maybe at work that could prove it was our truck

02:36:29 - 02:36:35 | Speaker 4:

I don't know I haven't checked I'm happy to do that if that's what it takes This is

02:36:35 - 02:36:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah it is why don't you call the cops And have them dust for fingerprints on your car Or something

02:36:39 - 02:36:43 | Speaker 4:

You know or get you the shit out of you guys

02:36:43 - 02:36:45 | Speaker 2:

Yeah and apologies in order here

02:36:45 - 02:36:48 | Speaker 4:

Are you apologizing

02:36:49 - 02:36:51 | Speaker 2:

No, I thought you'd want to apologize to me.

02:36:52 - 02:36:56 | Speaker 4:

This is bull****. Do you have anybody that has any common sense there?

02:36:56 - 02:37:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, I mean, I don't have anybody in this room that has common sense, but I'll give you my name. It's Spike from the Mojo on the Morning Show. Elaine just told us to phone scam you. You're on the radio right now. It's not the landscaping company.

02:37:10 - 02:37:12 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's awesome. That's amazing.

02:37:12 - 02:39:10 | Speaker 1:

you know what i forgot i forgot to do uh another giveaway for uh red wings wednesdays So, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, 844-MOJO-LIVE. Oh, you fancy. 95th Caller, call us up right now. Thank you. For Taylor Swift, 6.30 and 9.30, giving you a chance to win. So make sure that you're listening. Yeah, and you heard me right. But Megan is going to be on all day today on 92.5 KISS FM in Toledo. So she'll be doing for International Women's Day. She's going to be highlighting the amazing people from the women's shelter there that she's been working with and that she's been doing such a great job of getting some notice for them so that they can get some refurbishing done to what you say has been very sad that they haven't been able to fix up some places there for a while.

02:39:10 - 02:39:34 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it's not where we need it to be. It's not where we want it to be, but we can get it there with a lot of help, which we are so appreciative of. But I'll give everybody the information on that all day today as they listen along. But it's the YWCA here of Northwest Ohio and going to be hanging out. And we have all women on the station all day today. And it took me literally like seven hours to do yesterday. So please listen. Please. It was a lot of work.

02:39:34 - 02:39:53 | Speaker 1:

Here's the thing. 92.5 KISS FM on your iHeartRadio app after we're all said and done. Okay. Lydia is counting fast because I screwed this up. 95. I should have just said caller number nine. I know. Why do I do that? I'm excited here.

02:39:53 - 02:39:57 | Speaker 2:

We've got a little weekend of original six hockey here.

02:39:57 - 02:39:58 | Speaker 1:

With.

02:40:00 - 02:40:04 | Speaker 3:

Who are you playing? Oh, the Blackhawks. Blackhawks tonight. And then the Bruins are in town this weekend.

02:40:04 - 02:40:10 | Speaker 1:

Hello, who is this? This is Brooke. Brooke, got tickets. Congratulations. Tonight's the game.

02:40:11 - 02:40:11 | Speaker 4:

Awesome.

02:40:12 - 02:40:15 | Speaker 1:

Chicago Blackhawks. Congratulations to you.

02:40:15 - 02:40:17 | Speaker 4:

Thank you. My son will be so excited.

02:40:17 - 02:40:34 | Speaker 1:

Oh, cool. And you got a pair of tickets. By the way, it's college night. They will be recognizing Michigan Technological University. I said Technical University earlier. and got my hand slapped on that one. So, yes, so congratulations to you. You got tickets for tonight.

02:40:35 - 02:40:36 | Speaker 2:

Thank you.

02:40:36 - 02:40:43 | Speaker 1:

That's going to be interesting. You were just mentioning, and I know we don't have the tickets for the Bruins game, but Tyler Bertuzzi will be coming back.

02:40:43 - 02:40:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, back-to-back Saturday and Sunday games. Our first chance to see him wearing the wrong uniform.

02:40:48 - 02:40:54 | Speaker 1:

In his first game, by the way, he actually had an assist. I think he might have even scored in his second one. I don't know.

02:40:54 - 02:41:08 | Speaker 3:

But his highlight of the first game was the video of him walking out of the locker room and he was so used to the way that lca is built that he walked all the way down the hall the wrong direction oh really yeah because that's funny he was going what you know you turn the same direction every night on the job and he forgot he was in a new

02:41:08 - 02:41:35 | Speaker 1:

place mojo in the morning show so it's funny how when uh kids are kids that they look towards certain restaurants as being kind of fancy um and mike's daughter cecily's taste in restaurants has gone way up now to a point where Mike for the daddy daughter dance you used to be able to take her to big boy now you have to take her somewhere fancier huh yeah we used to go to big boy before

02:41:35 - 02:42:33 | Speaker 2:

we even went to daddy daughter dances because if I'm being very very real uh we just didn't have like a ton we had a house that was falling apart we didn't have a ton of money to go out um and we were in a different place in our life so like when we would go out we'd take them to like big boy and that was that was kind of our going out thing and and she thought for the longest time that this place was fancy and you know it had all these it had a giant statue when you walked in of this big guy and we took a picture with it every time we walked in and and she got to pick whatever she wants on the menu and there was always you know treats afterwards and so that was fancy so when we started going to daddy-daughter dances that's where she wanted to go immediately that's what she knew and so yeah that was you know we've done it almost every single year and then this year Miss Thang decided that Big Boy wasn't it anymore. It's not the spot anymore, Dad. I want to go to where you and Mommy went and go to Leo's. You guys, that was a $200 bill. I'll be very honest.

02:42:33 - 02:42:35 | Speaker 4:

Not Leo's Coney Island. No, no, no.

02:42:35 - 02:42:40 | Speaker 1:

Leo's is a big Coney Island chain here, so it's a fancy restaurant we learned last time you talked about this place.

02:42:40 - 02:42:43 | Speaker 2:

It's a really nice seafood restaurant.

02:42:43 - 02:42:47 | Speaker 3:

It's where my daughter wants to go for graduation after Grand Valleys. It's very good.

02:42:48 - 02:43:31 | Speaker 2:

I strongly recommend it, but it's like a once in a while kind of place. You know what I mean? Yeah. It's like the graduation time for when you graduate from college, Cecily. Yes. And so she must have heard. What I'm guessing is Allie and her were talking, and it must have come up like, where did you guys go on your Valentine's Day date and that kind of stuff. And then we just went to Hibachi a couple weekends ago, and that was fun. But again, that's a little, that's not, that's not Big Boy. That's, that's a little more pricier. That's a little more expensive. That's like a once in a while kind of thing. And her, I'm telling, I thought we would at least ride Big Boy out for at least a few more years, but it is, it has changed. Yeah. But do you remember like the, the places you used to think you were fancy when you were a kid?

02:43:31 - 02:43:39 | Speaker 1:

Oh yeah. Big Boy. Big Boy for me because of, that was where we got, we were only allowed to have dessert at Big Boy. And if you got dessert, that was fancy.

02:43:39 - 02:44:04 | Speaker 3:

so for me growing up is on the east coast but it was just like big boy there was a chain of restaurants called friendly's friendly's restaurants and they had a few around here too yeah uh but before i moved here after college but growing up that was the place you went on really special occasions like you graduated eighth grade or maybe you won the little league championship so it was like you had to really celebrate it was just a glorified coney with

02:44:04 - 02:44:24 | Speaker 4:

ice cream yeah ours was and it was really like when we were going on vacation we would go to perkins that band came yeah and bennegan's because bennegan's was like kind of dark inside and yeah oh yeah i don't think the wood booths i remember that yes that was like real fancy

02:44:24 - 02:44:38 | Speaker 3:

vacation spot because through the eyes of an eight-year-old it's just something different and new my parents would never let us eat out never like i loved when my grandparents would watch us on thursdays in the summer because they would take us to mcdonald's and they'd always say

02:44:38 - 02:45:00 | Speaker 1:

don't tell your mom it was like our little secret that's funny that mcdonald's was also kind of like that with us too because we never had mcdonald's yeah and my aunt would always pick if my aunt would pick us up from school or whatever she would take us to mcdonald's and that was like the thing now we go to mcdonald's like you know we blow our nose you know it's weird

02:45:00 - 02:45:52 | Speaker 2:

to think to think that how you know it used to be kind of like that uh that place 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 or if you're at work you can text 95500 what was that uh that place that you remember that you'd go to the other one too is and the the place that you know for us was outback steakhouse they had too fancy they had nice knives yeah like that was like the place handles and yes into the wooden handles and for us kids like the Outback Steakhouse on Orchard Lake Road was our go-to with the kids for like birthdays and things and the blooming onion the kids thought it was the it's funny the kids thought it was the coolest looking thing but hated the taste of the thing unless you dipped it into the sauce that they had that little like uh like mayo sauce or whatever it was there but that was kind of like the cool place I think um Outback was too expensive

02:45:52 - 02:45:58 | Speaker 3:

for my parents' tastes, but Olga's, that would be one you might go to. Oh my gosh, I'm going to have to get it today. Snackers, as soon as you hear it.

02:45:58 - 02:46:00 | Speaker 5:

I just want some Snackers.

02:46:00 - 02:46:08 | Speaker 3:

Olga's is the best. They're doing a deal for snack, I think it's free Snackers all day with any purchase or something. Today? Yeah, for International Women's Day. Wait a second.

02:46:09 - 02:46:10 | Speaker 1:

For you? We've got to talk

02:46:10 - 02:46:20 | Speaker 2:

about that. We've got to talk about the company. Oh, that just made me so happy. Is it just for International Women's Day that you're doing that? Yes. Everything's become so commercialized. I know, I know.

02:46:20 - 02:46:41 | Speaker 3:

Well, I'm going. I know. Well, and to be fair, they were founded, Olga, you know, in a time where women were not business owners. And you could, in fact, when Olga came up, women couldn't even get their own loan to buy a house without a man co-signing them. So to be honest, I understand why they're celebrating. I'm trying to find the email now. Hold on. Olga.

02:46:41 - 02:46:45 | Speaker 2:

I want to look at promotions and events offers on Women's Day. Let's find them for you.

02:46:45 - 02:47:24 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah, because I love the places that – well, there was a great bot on Twitter last year that every time a company would tweet out International Women's Day wishes, the bot would automatically reply with their disparity in how much they pay women versus men in that company. Like, it was – some guy created this bot, and it was awesome because they'd be like, happy International Women's Day, and then they would – underneath, and they would have sources and everything. It was so brilliant. Okay, here it is. Olga's Kitchen offers free snackers to celebrate International Women's Day. Oh, and announces grant opportunities for women entrepreneurs, much like Michigan's honors its founder, Women Leaders, through Olga's Memorial Foundation. So there you go. There is something bigger there.

02:47:25 - 02:47:25 | Speaker 2:

I love this.

02:47:25 - 02:47:25 | Speaker 3:

There you go.

02:47:26 - 02:47:57 | Speaker 2:

I love it. Cereal. Cereal. Cheerios is offering a discount on International Women's Day. So they've got that. What do we got here? Hold on a second here. Make a donation for International Women's Day, and you get tacos at a taco place in California that's offering. Yeah, two tacos for the price of one if you come in and mention International Women's Day. I do love that, though, when they come out. There's a way to commercialize.

02:47:57 - 02:48:06 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, like a company that will make its entire business profits off the back of women, and they'll be like, 30 cents off this yogurt that makes you poop. Congratulations, women.

02:48:07 - 02:48:10 | Speaker 2:

Jessica, what was your place that you guys would go to?

02:48:11 - 02:48:17 | Speaker 4:

It wasn't my place. It's my son's. He loves Beattie's. He thinks that's the most beautiful, awesome place.

02:48:18 - 02:48:31 | Speaker 2:

Mongolian barbecue? Beattie's Mongolian barbecue was great. That was another one, too. There was one right by Oakland University that we used to go to all the time, and it was always a celebratory time that we were going to that.

02:48:31 - 02:48:32 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I can't believe that one closed, too.

02:48:32 - 02:48:38 | Speaker 2:

I know. Well, having a bunch of them closed? Are there Beattie's Mongolian Barbecues in Toledo and Grand Rapids?

02:48:38 - 02:48:42 | Speaker 1:

There's one on Hall Road. There's one in Toledo. There is? It's at the Franklin Park Mall.

02:48:43 - 02:48:44 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. I love that place.

02:48:45 - 02:48:47 | Speaker 1:

I actually just went there a few weeks ago. Did you?

02:48:47 - 02:48:49 | Speaker 4:

For the first time in like seven years. It sounds so funny.

02:48:49 - 02:48:50 | Speaker 2:

Gail, what was yours?

02:48:51 - 02:48:53 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. This is embarrassing. Conda Rosa.

02:48:54 - 02:48:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:48:54 - 02:48:54 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

02:48:55 - 02:48:56 | Speaker 3:

Yes. With the buffet.

02:48:57 - 02:48:58 | Speaker 4:

What's that?

02:48:58 - 02:48:59 | Speaker 3:

With the buffet.

02:48:59 - 02:49:03 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. It's in bottomless ice cream. It was once a year when we went up north.

02:49:03 - 02:49:09 | Speaker 2:

For some reason, a steak from Ponderosa is better than a steak from, like, a fancy steakhouse.

02:49:09 - 02:49:13 | Speaker 4:

We never splurged on the steak. It was just a mess.

02:49:13 - 02:49:23 | Speaker 2:

I always try it when I'm grilling at home to make the lines on the steak look like the lines on the one from Ponderosa. Candice, what was your place?

02:49:24 - 02:49:34 | Speaker 5:

Just going to fast food restaurants in general was just, like, a treat because we never went. And if you had a birthday party at a McDonald's I mean you were that deal

02:49:34 - 02:49:40 | Speaker 3:

Candice did they always say in your house What they said in mine My mom would say we have hamburgers at home

02:49:40 - 02:49:46 | Speaker 5:

My mama didn't even offer She would just be like no we're going home Because I cook

02:49:46 - 02:49:51 | Speaker 2:

What was your place though Your fast food place that you would go to

02:49:51 - 02:49:54 | Speaker 5:

White Castle's

02:49:54 - 02:49:55 | Unknown:

If I got to get out of school early

02:49:55 - 02:50:02 | Speaker 2:

Or something it would be White Castle's Oh my god White Castle's was the greatest We'll be right back. Uh, what's up, Mark? How you doing?

02:50:03 - 02:50:04 | Speaker 7:

Pretty good. And yourself?

02:50:05 - 02:50:08 | Speaker 2:

Good. What was your place that you would go to, the fancy place when you were a kid?

02:50:09 - 02:50:20 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I was in the, I'm 53. This is in the 70s. I'd go to this place and, um, because I went to Guardian Angels, uh, we had school there. At any rate, uh, it was Burger Chef. It was almost like a Burger King.

02:50:20 - 02:50:21 | Speaker 2:

Really?

02:50:21 - 02:50:22 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I heard of that.

02:50:22 - 02:50:24 | Speaker 2:

It was, where was that at? What town was it in?

02:50:25 - 02:50:28 | Speaker 7:

Uh, is it Claussen or the border? Claussen or Royal Oak?

02:50:28 - 02:50:34 | Speaker 2:

And it was just a little, like, a mom-and-pop type local burger place that kind of was a fast food burger place.

02:50:34 - 02:50:36 | Speaker 1:

Do you guys ever remember going to a ground round?

02:50:36 - 02:50:38 | Speaker 2:

Ground round, yeah. I remember.

02:50:38 - 02:50:50 | Speaker 1:

That was so cool because it was kind of like just like a burger place. And you would, whatever you weighed, that's how much your kid's meal was. So if you weighed, like, 72 pounds, your kid's meal was 72 pounds.

02:50:50 - 02:50:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you didn't want me to go to that place.

02:50:52 - 02:51:09 | Speaker 7:

But the sign There was a chef It was a cartoon chef With a chef's hat on there I'll never forget it Yeah 1979 The burger chef Yeah I gotta say something You know, yeah But McDonald's now Costs just as much as a steak That's true That is true Right

02:51:09 - 02:51:18 | Speaker 2:

It's like $12 for a meal Like if you get If you get a quarter pounder With cheese Or a double quarter pounder With cheese meal It's like a $12 meal Right now

02:51:18 - 02:51:23 | Speaker 7:

No, it's like $14 now I'm not kidding my daughter. I'm like, I can't

02:51:23 - 02:51:26 | Speaker 2:

do this. I'm finally turning to my parents

02:51:26 - 02:51:27 | Speaker 3:

because I'm saying, nope, I'll make you a cheeseburger

02:51:27 - 02:51:30 | Speaker 2:

at home. What's up, Gabby? What was yours?

02:51:31 - 02:51:43 | Speaker 4:

Our family always thought Olive Garden was so fancy. I don't know if it's the lighting, the Italian music they play, something about it. I thought it was the fanciest place ever. Oh, yeah. No, it's because you were family.

02:51:44 - 02:51:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. You're family.

02:51:47 - 02:51:49 | Speaker 2:

Endless breadsticks. And Red Lobster

02:51:49 - 02:51:55 | Speaker 3:

was another one too oh yeah you walk in the fish tank in the waiting area and they when you'd go

02:51:55 - 02:52:07 | Speaker 2:

into red lobster as a family you'd walk into that place you thought because you only went there on somebody's birthday you know like and you got the cheddar bay biscuits oh my god oh

02:52:07 - 02:52:27 | Speaker 3:

oh by the way i'm not gonna say i discovered this on my own but you can just order a six pack of those biscuits and they'll have them ready for you when you walk in really yeah just To get them to go I had one next to that apartment during divorce times I would just eat a whole bag Of Cheddar Bay biscuits by myself In my little apartment

02:52:27 - 02:52:40 | Speaker 2:

I have a friend of mine that just door dashes those For the asides for meals that they're having So they'll order like Four or five orders or whatever And have them in their You can buy 12 breadsticks from Olive Garden

02:52:40 - 02:52:41 | Speaker 1:

Can you?

02:52:42 - 02:52:47 | Speaker 2:

Can't you buy the Olive Garden breadsticks at Sam's Club and Costco too?

02:52:47 - 02:52:57 | Speaker 3:

And you can buy a box at Kroger to make your own Cheddar Bay Biscuits, but I don't do that because I feel guilt if I put two sticks of butter in there. But if they're doing it, I don't see it.

02:52:57 - 02:53:05 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Oh, man. Ramshorn. Yoshi, that's obviously a big one. Ramshorn.

02:53:06 - 02:53:10 | Speaker 6:

Ramshorn was the mac and cheese go-to.

02:53:10 - 02:53:11 | Speaker 2:

That was it.

02:53:11 - 02:53:22 | Speaker 6:

We would always go just for the mac and cheese and the, what's that one, burger, the Amicator Burger?

02:53:23 - 02:53:25 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I don't know what you said. Yeah.

02:53:26 - 02:53:26 | Speaker 6:

Interesting.

02:53:27 - 02:53:35 | Speaker 3:

I took my girls to Ram's Horn a few weeks ago, and I was just thinking, maybe it's tonight. I got a date night with my girlfriend, and maybe we'll go to Ram's Horn.

02:53:36 - 02:53:39 | Speaker 2:

Kim, what was your go-to that was a fancy go-to?

02:53:39 - 02:53:42 | Speaker 5:

Oh, do you guys remember Chi-Chi's? For the chimichanga.

02:53:42 - 02:53:44 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Frozen ice cream. The chimichanga.

02:53:45 - 02:53:47 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah. Nice and ice cream.

02:53:47 - 02:53:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, Chichis was the bomb. And the fried ice cream was the thing that nobody else can do, Shannon. You're right.

02:53:53 - 02:53:57 | Speaker 1:

No, it's not. I've tried it other places. It is not the same. Can't do it like Chichis.

02:53:58 - 02:53:58 | Speaker 2:

Honestly.

02:53:59 - 02:54:01 | Speaker 5:

It was a big Saturday night fancy dinner for the fam.

02:54:01 - 02:54:06 | Speaker 2:

Can I tell you, their chips and salsa were just mediocre, but when you were in a Chichis, they were fantastic.

02:54:07 - 02:54:15 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my gosh. Both the hot and the mild, you'd have to, like, switch off back and forth. I always go to three baskets of those before they put anything on the table.

02:54:15 - 02:54:15 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah.

02:54:16 - 02:54:29 | Speaker 3:

Total Wine, where I get all my beer and stuff, they have the Chi-Chi's drinks. Like, you can buy the pre-made cocktails, the mudslides and the pina coladas and all the, like, the big orange cream and all the things they would make in the restaurant. Now you can buy those.

02:54:30 - 02:54:32 | Speaker 2:

All right. Mojo in the Morning Show.

02:54:33 - 02:54:35 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the Morning's top trending stories.

02:54:35 - 02:55:00 | Speaker 2:

All right. Top trending stories of the day. We're going to start with this one. It's going on right now. Actually, they're in court right now. But, you know, the Oxford shooter, Ethan Crumbly, his parents right now are on trial to see if they can be charged for the crime. The Michigan Supreme Court actually took this case. And then now the case is being heard on whether.

02:55:00 - 02:55:07 | Speaker 4:

or not the Oakland County prosecutor could file charges against parents in a school shooting

02:55:07 - 02:55:38 | Speaker 6:

situation. This morning, Jennifer and Jason Crumbly, whose son Ethan pleaded guilty to killing four of his classmates at Oxford High in Michigan, are fighting involuntary manslaughter charges. They could become the first parents ever charged in a mass shooting caused by a child. We had a person who put together this plan of who he was going to shoot, what order he was going to do it in. The Crumbly's attorney argued before a three-judge panel that Ethan was the only person responsible and parents are not obligated to protect their child's classmates.

02:55:38 - 02:55:48 | Speaker 7:

As a parent, I don't owe a legal duty to every kid at my four-kids' schools. I don't owe a legal duty to every person my child encounters on the street.

02:55:48 - 02:55:56 | Speaker 6:

But prosecutors argue the Crumbly's knew their son had hallucinations and was hearing voices, and yet they bought him the gun used in the shooting.

02:55:56 - 02:55:59 | Speaker 5:

There were warning signs all over the place.

02:55:59 - 02:56:17 | Speaker 6:

The day of the shooting, a teacher called the Crumblies to school to show them a picture Ethan had drawn of a gun and a note in which he wrote, The thoughts won't stop. Help me. Prosecutors argue the Crumblies should have taken Ethan home. Instead, they left him at school. He later opened fire, using the gun in his backpack.

02:56:17 - 02:56:28 | Speaker 1:

The counselor was worried about that he may have been suicidal. At that point, wouldn't that warrant looking in the backpack? if he's suicidal and he has access to a gun.

02:56:28 - 02:56:32 | Speaker 6:

The Crumley's attorney saying the parents could have never imagined a mass shooting.

02:56:32 - 02:56:41 | Speaker 2:

It could be a warning sign that EC may have been troubled or may have been having certain thoughts, but not a warning sign that he was going to kill for other people.

02:56:42 - 02:57:23 | Speaker 4:

And they're expecting that they'll be able to figure this out, whether or not they could be charged here in the next coming days or weeks. Other people that a lot of people have put scrutiny on, got off it was the school so the parents didn't look in the backpack well also why didn't the school look in the backpack or why didn't the school send him home for that day and they allowed him to stay in there the school now will not be able to be liable for this and their attorney ven johnson they're the attorney of the parents that are suing the school district is really upset about this yesterday this ruling came down well michigan judge has ruled staff and administrators

02:57:23 - 02:57:38 | Speaker 3:

at oxford high school cannot be sued for the mass shooting that left four students dead and seven others wounded attorney van johnson held a press conference this morning to discuss the dismissal and he says this is just one of many examples of how governmental immunity is putting the rights

02:57:38 - 02:57:52 | Speaker 5:

of government employees over the people they serve rich poor private no matter what everybody In this day and age, 2023, in a courtroom in the United States, should be equal.

02:57:53 - 02:58:04 | Speaker 3:

Now, the lawsuits are related to the Oxford High School shooting on November 20, 2021. Johnson said he plans to appeal a ruling and is calling on the state legislature to strike down the unconstitutional law.

02:58:05 - 02:58:24 | Speaker 4:

Can I ask you a question about TV attorneys? Who has the best TV commercials? Because that Ben Johnson guy's got some interesting commercials, you know, where it's like Ven Fights or whatever. If you live in the Detroit area, you know these commercials. Like he's like in a ring, and he's like, I'm going to box these people or whatever.

02:58:24 - 02:58:27 | Speaker 5:

Although Jeffrey Figer's Hall of Fame for the smoke machine and the spotlight.

02:58:27 - 02:58:31 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I can't handle those things. Really? Nope.

02:58:31 - 02:58:49 | Speaker 4:

What about Mike Morris having his mom on his? I don't know. These are interesting. They all have to come up with something kind of creative like that. Did you guys know, I read this in Cranes, Detroit. Did you know that our good friend Jumana spends more than $2 million a year on her billboards?

02:58:49 - 02:58:52 | Speaker 7:

She should. Well, she's everywhere, and she's always watching.

02:58:53 - 02:58:56 | Speaker 4:

$2 million a year on those billboards. I can't believe it.

02:58:56 - 02:58:58 | Speaker 3:

She looks like a goddess in every one of them.

02:58:58 - 02:59:01 | Speaker 4:

I know. I know. I love her, by the way.

02:59:01 - 02:59:02 | Speaker 7:

She is so sweet.

02:59:02 - 02:59:05 | Speaker 5:

They're all in great locations. I always feel like she's watching me drive.

02:59:06 - 02:59:08 | Speaker 7:

You know that's her saying, though, right?

02:59:08 - 02:59:10 | Speaker 4:

We're watching. Jumana's always watching. Oh, yeah.

02:59:10 - 02:59:11 | Speaker 7:

That's why I said that.

02:59:11 - 03:00:00 | Speaker 4:

I want to give you guys more details about a story that yesterday we had in Trendy News. So two of the four Americans kidnapped by those armed gunmen in that Mexican border town on Friday were found dead and two others were found alive. We know more information about who were the ones that were found dead and who were the ones alive. We also now know more about why they believe that this Mexican drug cartel went after them. They're saying that the drug cartel thought that they were an opposing gang that was trying to traffic. And this is a problem that's going on in Mexico where these drug cartels are trafficking people back and forth. And they feel like if you're one of their opposing gangs that's doing this, that you're getting in on their business.

03:00:00 - 03:01:52 | Speaker 1:

business and when they saw them driving in a nice vehicle like they were they were driving in like a minivan they said that they thought that the people that were in the vehicle were people from haiti that they were trying to traffic into the united states and that's why they ended up you know stopping them but um this has caused for a lot of people to have to cancel any kind of trips going over to mexico and i was watching a story that was done on this last night and they were saying driving across the border can be the riskiest thing that you can possibly do and if you live in one of these border towns they're saying that these border towns right now are being faced with the riskiness of the cartels will just like run through your backyard like they'll come across the border and they'll run through your backyard and they're armed and a lot of people are scared by this and i know that this is going to be a story that's going to be get bigger as the coming weeks happen um there is a uh tiktok influencer a social media influencer by the name of savannah glemban who is right now in a little bit of issue having issues and uh cps is coming after uh them her and her husband because they filmed the husband wrapping their toddler up in saran wrap for misbehaving and they're now being labeled as abusers by their followers the mom claims in a video and i'll play it for you here in a second that they were doing it just for fun that was just for the video they took saran wrap and wrapped it around the child joking around about how their child was getting into all kinds of trouble and they finally found a way to keep them from getting into trouble and here's what she had to say when people saw that on tiktok called the authorities and then cps came to take their child right now

03:01:52 - 03:02:44 | Speaker 4:

we're dealing with a situation where gunner has been taken from us until cps can't evaluate our home was i posted a video of my husband and son playing that video was strewn in a way as to people thinking that we were abusing our child when Gunnar was like laughing and smiling and it was just a funny thing that Hank did um because Gunnar was getting into like the stove that day and like tried putting a fork in a socket and um like Hank like playfully wrapped him in clean wrap he had room to move like he looked like a little worm like a little cucumber He was at no point in distress or crying or anything like that. Like, we would never hurt our son. Like, we would never hurt our child.

03:02:46 - 03:02:47 | Speaker 1:

Wait, this goes on.

03:02:48 - 03:02:55 | Speaker 3:

So the little boy was playing along and people were still calling? I haven't seen the video. Oh, he's little, little. I'm looking at it now. Yeah, he's a toddler. He's a toddler.

03:02:56 - 03:03:06 | Speaker 1:

But here's the thing. People post stuff on social media and then others look at it in, you know, So once he calls CPS, CPS has to do the investigation.

03:03:06 - 03:03:08 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, they can't ignore it. Oh, man.

03:03:09 - 03:03:54 | Speaker 1:

By the way, the state of Utah, listen to this. The governor in Utah, Spencer Cox, just signed. By the way, what a name. Spencer Cox. I would love to have a name like that. Spencer Cox has signed the Social Media Regulation Act, a bill that will restrict minors from social media without parental permission. And now they're saying that this bill which passed, schools will have to be enforcing this. If they see you on, they'll have to turn you in, according to this bill that just recently went through the Utah legislature and ended up going through them and then eventually getting to the governor's desk. It's the first state doing this.

03:03:54 - 03:04:12 | Speaker 2:

I appreciate the effort because I believe these kids should not be this young on social media. It's doing irreparable damage mentally But why is it on the school to have to find them? Like, I wish there was a way they could hold the social media companies responsible For not letting these kids access the material

03:04:12 - 03:04:23 | Speaker 3:

Well, we have to also look at this long term And see what kind of repercussions this will have if it goes through So if our government can regulate this What else can they regulate when it comes to social media and internet consumption?

03:04:23 - 03:04:29 | Speaker 1:

A lot of people feel that way with free speech and stuff That people should be allowed to have it

03:04:29 - 03:04:57 | Speaker 3:

And this makes me concerned, not because I think kids should be on social media. Trust me, I grew up on social media. I understand its harms. But I get very worried about what kind of things get regulated in this kind of way. Handmaid's Tale. The start of the Handmaid's Tale. Yes, 100%. This is very, very scary to me. I agree with you. And it's not about the kids. It's absolutely not about the kids. It's about the control of what we can and cannot access on our phones.

03:04:57 - 03:04:59 | Speaker 1:

In this last story.

03:05:00 - 03:06:44 | Speaker 6:
