00:03:29 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 7:

Good morning and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. It is Monday, March the 10th, 2025. We got a second date update coming up this morning. Looking at the prizes, the prizes look good too. We got a trip to Disney to give away, of course, at 7.30, giving you Disney vacations. And then, as far as tickets are concerned, we got some good ones today. We got tickets to go see Jelly Roll and Post Malone at 630. Along with Imagine Dragons tickets coming up here in just a little bit for the back in the day. That actually, what, Imagine Dragons? Look at that. Oh, no, wait, a pair of tickets to see the screening of Imagine Dragons live from the Hollywood Bowl. I'm like, wait a second. Are they coming to town? I didn't know that. Going to watch the screening of them. Still a good price. I don't know if I'm into that. I don't know. That, to me, is like I'm not going to a movie theater to go sit there and watch a concert. Am I going to do that? I've done that before. It's pretty fun. Yeah. Although I do like watching the concert. What was the TV? There was one of the cable channels that used to have just concerts on it, Roland. And I remember watching it. I forget what it was called. It had some kind of like a weird name. It was like in script writing and stuff. And it was on. And I don't think it's on anymore because I don't think I've seen a concert. It's usually the channel that you flip by on your way to figure out what the hell's on TV. instead of looking at the guide.

00:05:00 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 4:

You just kind of go there. But, all right, I digress. And then we got 313 Day coming up, which we're going to be teaming up with our friends from the Detroit Pistons. And we're going to be giving you some cool stuff, give you tickets to go see the Pistons play on 313 Day, plus autograph from Jalen Duren. This is going to be actually really cool stuff. He's going to be on the show with us on 313 Day. And then Irish on Ionia this weekend for 317 Day.

00:05:30 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 2:

The weather for that, by the way, picture perfect. Really? Yeah, it looks okay. I like it. I mean, it's warm. It's going to be warm.

00:05:37 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 4:

I actually was trying to figure out what green I have, and I've worn the last two years the same green sweatshirt, and I have grown out of it or grown like it's too big on me. Shrunk out of it. Shrunk out of it. So I was trying to figure out exactly what I was going to do that was green, and I'm looking through stuff, and I really don't have a lot. All my green is Michigan State stuff, so I might actually just put on something. which I guess would be appropriate because they'll have the Big Ten tournament going on this weekend. And what a win for them yesterday. Yeah. I don't like green. I'm not a green person unless it's like army green. I like army green, but I don't like green like St. Patrick's Day green, like limey green.

00:06:17 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 3:

I bought some new green this year. It was time. Did you? Yeah. After all these years of borrowing, I just bought new green. What'd you get? Did you get a hat? I was going to say, I got the hat you got on. Well, it's funny. Well, actually, it wasn't this hat. Oh, crap. I could have just worn this hat.

00:06:30 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 4:

That is green. I thought it was black there for a second. I feel like I'm colorblind. You thought that was black? Dang it. I thought, for a second, when I saw it, I thought, oh, it's a cool black hat, but I didn't realize it was...

00:06:39 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 3:

Well, I bought a fluorescent green.

00:06:41 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 4:

I'm kind of... I don't think I'm officially colorblind, but if you've ever seen me dress...

00:06:47 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 3:

Wes is real colorblind. Is he? Very. He can't tell the difference between grays and blues, and it's quite interesting when And he's wearing four different great items. Oh, really? And I'm like, oh, man. That's, wow.

00:07:01 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, good choice. Well, excited for Irish on Ionia. That is the huge celebration that we do every single year in West Michigan. It's not Irish on Ionia this year. It's Irish off Ionia because Ionia got upset about the big party, some of the businesses there. So just for that, we're not coming to you. We're going somewhere else. And we're going to be going to Calder Plaza there. So we'll give you details on that. And you can get VIP tickets available or just tickets for entry so you don't have to sit there and wait in that big line. And it's going to be big. People are all showing up for this thing. It's 21 and over. Go to irishoffionia.com. That's irishoffionia.com. All right, Mojo of the Morning Show. Megan, how was your weekend? What did you do this weekend?

00:07:44 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

I had a great weekend. I had a full weekend. I was able to go see one of my favorite podcasts, Be Done Live at the Vomor, which was amazing. and I got the best luck ever while I was there. I feel like I never have good luck. So this was pretty cool for me. And it kind of started with the bad luck, which I was like, man, this feels right. And I sat behind a guy at the Fillmore. Now at the Fillmore, when there's like a seated event, if you've never been there before, it has like a tiered audience, right? Like there's steps. It's great for concerts where if you have floor seats, you might be sitting in or standing in a section that's elevated from the group above you, like slightly elevated but maybe like a foot or two and that's really really really convenient but this was a seated event which also means there's no elevation between the platforms so if you're not in the front row of each like level there's no elevation you're at the same height as everybody else sitting in front of you and the guy sitting in front of me I can only describe as the same size as Dave Bautista who is the guy from Guardians of the Galaxy and also he was a wrestler right it's a big guy he's a huge man and this kid was i mean easily seven feet tall easily like i i'm bad at weight he looked like a football player 350 he wasn't like huge huge but like just he was a big man and i could not see i'm not kidding you a lick of the stage from shoulder to shoulder he covered the entire stage and i went all right well i'm used to this being a podcast where i'm cleaning my house i guess i don't have to watch and i walked over to security and I said hey is it gonna be like would it be a problem if I just like stood by the bar in the back of the venue the whole evening like will that be problematic for you or would that be okay did you explain to them why well he then said well why do you want to stand the whole time I said well the guy in front of me and it's not his fault but like he's just a really big dude and I can't see anything and like if it's not a problem with you I'll just I'll just stand in the back and I'll stay out of everybody's way so I can see and he was like yeah no problem you stand back there like five minutes passes I'm wearing heels and I was like and he walks back over to me and I go oh no he's gonna ask me to go back to my seat this is gonna be a problem all right all right I don't have to watch I don't have he's like hey come with me and he walks me

00:10:00 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 3:

after the show has started with this little flashlight up to the very front dead center where the handicapped seating is which is an open row of seats right by the front of the stage where it was me and a blind woman and I'm dead center and it was the best seats of any show I had ever been to in my entire life I could not believe that I had that great luck

00:10:23 - 00:10:25 | Speaker 4:

you talked to the right person

00:10:25 - 00:10:30 | Speaker 1:

why didn't he just go and ask the blind woman to sit behind Dave Bautista.

00:10:32 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 3:

The blind woman was with seeing people.

00:10:35 - 00:10:41 | Speaker 1:

Oh, she had people. I was going to say, that's an appropriate seat for her. She has no idea.

00:10:41 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 3:

And I had to take it by myself. So it was like, do you move one person away from their group?

00:10:47 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 1:

You know what's funny? Can I tell you something? I have been at shows before. I think it was Wicked, one of the last times I went and saw Wicked. And the mom that was behind me asked if I would switch seats with my wife because her kid could not see over me and so she asked and then I thought why don't you just have her switch seats like why don't you guys switch seats that's the worst but the problem is the way that their seats were technically they were not behind us like they were it wasn't even so if she would have switched with him there was another tall guy right next to me so it was basically asked which tall guy to move. And so Chelsea and I were there. So we switched seats. Yeah. Which I have to tell you that I'm fine with that. The thing I'm not fine with, I went to the Imagine Theater one time, and you know how you put your seats all the way back? You recline, yeah. You recline the seats? I had a person that yelled at me because they thought that my reclining was interrupting them being able to walk to go to the bathroom because they couldn't walk past the thing. They thought I was way too reclined.

00:11:49 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 4:

That's not even possible because it's like a fire thing if imagine didn't do that right a fire hazard it's technically technically if

00:11:59 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 1:

you're not six foot three your legs are popping over the the front end okay i thought the chair was in the way no the chair wasn't the chair wasn't in the way it was my my feet dangling

00:12:08 - 00:12:25 | Speaker 2:

dangling there so but to that point where you mentioned that's one of the things that i dislike about being a parent because you have those situations where you have the perfect vision but your children don't and then you have to of course you want to see the show too but you got to make the executive decision to switch with your child.

00:12:25 - 00:12:36 | Speaker 1:

Remember when you're a kid or when you had a kid, if you're a parent like I am, and you had booster seats where you put the kid up on a booster? Yeah. Like they have that where you sit up on a booster. Megan needs that for the Fillmore.

00:12:36 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 2:

I didn't need that for everybody. Like you got Batista.

00:12:39 - 00:12:42 | Speaker 1:

And then you become Batista for the people behind you.

00:12:42 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 3:

And listen, it was not his fault, but it's just a terrible situation to be in when you spend that much money and you're like,

00:12:47 - 00:13:32 | Speaker 1:

I can't see anything. Yes. Do you have the right to ask somebody to sit down at a show Like, I'd love to know this if you're if you're somebody that's listening and you're kind of a shorter person or if you're somebody that likes to sit during concerts because people stand a lot. Yeah. And and to me, I'm not into standing the entire show. Like, I think that sometimes during some of the ballads, I like to sit down. Yeah. And I like to, like, rest my legs a little bit. And I hate when I go to games where I went to a game in New York once and the New York fans, oh no, I'm sorry, Philadelphia was Philadelphia, Chelsea's dad, I took him to a Philadelphia Phillies game because he's from Philly and they stay in the entire game. And I'm like, we bought that seat.

00:13:32 - 00:13:37 | Speaker 4:

I don't think you can say anything at a game or a concert, by the way. At a play, you shouldn't be standing anyway.

00:13:38 - 00:13:51 | Speaker 2:

This happened to us last year. This happened to us last year at the NFC Championship. Oh, that's right. Whatever game that was, the guys behind us were like, I guess we've got to stand the whole time. It's like, you're damn right you've got to stand all the time. We're trying to get the number one seed. We don't think it's happening right now.

00:13:51 - 00:14:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, where the text is 95500. A couple of texters here texting and saying, Megan, that is the greatest way to get upgraded. That actually is from 734. I like that. That is true. I never thought that that could. that was nice that they pulled it that way because I could see where they would get salty

00:14:13 - 00:14:23 | Speaker 3:

or something. Right, which by the way was not my intention going into this at all. I wasn't like, you better make this right. It was just can I please see you in the back?

00:14:23 - 00:14:27 | Speaker 1:

Are you going to use that in the next show that you go to? No, because I don't think it's

00:14:27 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 3:

going to work and I don't want to be labeled that person either. You just got to take this as a win and say this is never going to happen again.

00:14:33 - 00:14:55 | Speaker 1:

I actually played the lottery that night. 248 says anytime I bring my son to anything we can't see anything and i that's that is a problem if there's certain places that you gotta they should actually have on the seats where because i know sometimes they'll say i'll see it on there they should say on the seats you know obstructed view if dave batista's

00:14:55 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 4:

you're gonna have a hard time if some if a big man is

00:15:00 - 00:15:22 | Speaker 5:

One time I went to a Cubs game at Wrigley Field and did not know, if you've never been to Wrigley Field, it's the best thing ever, unless you're sitting next to one of the poles. They have poles random that hold up the second deck there, and you're sitting right behind a pole. Like, I'm not kidding you, it's right there.

00:15:22 - 00:15:42 | Speaker 3:

That should not be a seat. There was a big news story about Beyonce's concerts not selling well, and I went to Ticketmaster and I started looking at them, which, by the way, is not very accurate. There's one show that they added recently that's got a lot of tickets. But all the other shows, if you look at what's available, they're like $600 limited view seats.

00:15:42 - 00:15:43 | Speaker 5:

Oh, limited view.

00:15:43 - 00:15:50 | Speaker 3:

So that's what they listed as. And it means you're sitting behind a pole. Yeah. And it's still like $600 for a single ticket.

00:15:50 - 00:15:51 | Speaker 5:

What up, Debbie? Sanity.

00:15:51 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 3:

I know. Hello.

00:15:53 - 00:15:54 | Speaker 5:

Hello.

00:15:55 - 00:15:56 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Mojo.

00:15:57 - 00:15:57 | Speaker 5:

How are you?

00:15:58 - 00:15:59 | Speaker 4:

I'm good. How are you?

00:16:00 - 00:16:01 | Speaker 5:

Fantastic. What's going on? How are you?

00:16:02 - 00:16:09 | Speaker 4:

I'm doing well. Just listening to you and Kevin this morning. I'm laughing because that was my husband telling you guys to sit down. Oh, I was.

00:16:10 - 00:16:10 | Speaker 2:

I was.

00:16:11 - 00:16:14 | Speaker 3:

That's so funny. Dad, you're so great.

00:16:14 - 00:16:15 | Speaker 5:

You can't do that.

00:16:15 - 00:16:17 | Speaker 3:

Did he come home and bitch about it?

00:16:18 - 00:16:18 | Speaker 5:

Does he hate us?

00:16:18 - 00:16:29 | Speaker 4:

That is so great. No, no, no. He thought it was funny. He didn't know who you guys were. and then when somebody said something to him, he told you, he's like, oh, my wife is a huge fan of yours.

00:16:31 - 00:16:47 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. What's his name? What's his first name? I want to shout him out. Mike. Hey, Mike. What's going on, buddy? I ain't sitting, Mike. Get out the way, Mike. That is awesome. So awesome, Debbie. Thank you. You'll have to play him this podcast when we talked about it.

00:16:48 - 00:16:49 | Speaker 4:

I will. Thank you.

00:16:49 - 00:16:51 | Speaker 5:

We'll talk to you later.

00:16:52 - 00:17:00 | Speaker 6:

How smart are you? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events and you tell us what year it happened.

00:17:00 - 00:17:05 | Speaker 5:

Oh, this was the year when Rihanna broke her silence on what happened with her and Chris Brown.

00:17:05 - 00:17:21 | Speaker 1:

00:17:21 - 00:17:24 | Speaker 5:

Dance Flick was the big movie. Who was in Dance Flick?

00:17:24 - 00:17:50 | Speaker 2:

Look who freed Willie. Whale spotting. Grecian tanker. You've got more chins than a Chinese phone book. How about some butter for those rolls? We do the mashed potato here. We don't eat the mashed potato. Please. You gonna keep the baby? I hope so. Ah, and what's your situation? Hmm? Did you grow up next to a nuclear power plant? You look like you were yanked through a closed door. You know, you're never gonna make it as a dancer, Sister Sledge. If I were you, I'd kill myself.

00:17:50 - 00:17:59 | Speaker 5:

Oh, man. I don't want to see that movie. And the big song from Lady Gaga. What year was it?

00:18:00 - 00:18:08 | Speaker 6:

Call us and tell us what year that stuff happened. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548.

00:18:10 - 00:18:25 | Speaker 5:

How good is your memory? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:18:32 - 00:18:37 | Speaker 5:

It was the year that Rihanna broke her silence about that horrible thing that happened with Chris Brown.

00:18:37 - 00:18:53 | Speaker 1:

I wouldn't drop it. I kept saying I couldn't take that. He kept lying to me, and he couldn't take that. I wouldn't drop it because, obviously, his back was up against the wall. The truth is right here in the text message.

00:18:53 - 00:19:40 | Speaker 5:

The movie Dance Flicks. Dance Flick was the big movie. I don't even remember this movie. Who is it? I don't either. It's like one of those Wayans parody movies. Oh, is that what it is? Scary movie and all that. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. One of those type of vibes. And the big song, Poker Face, which we played on Friday during the throwback throwdown. Jay, hi. What year was that? 2009 yes it was you got it congratulations to you Jay we're going to set you up with tickets to go to the screening of Imagine Dragons live from the Holiday Bowl it is happening on March the 26th and March the 29th hang on the phone for just one second we'll get you those tickets

00:20:13 - 00:21:18 | Speaker 1:

Well, starting off with a story I heard a lot about this weekend. Haley Bieber's rep is commenting and saying Haley did not, contrary to what the internet has alleged and created a story about, she did not like a TikTok mocking Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco. That's my noise too. So if you heard the story on Friday, some random influencer posted a TikTok showing a screenshot of a like that Haley allegedly, but she really did, leave on a February 14th of this TikToker mocking some interview magazine photos of Selena and Benny Blanco. And her comment on the photos was, I genuinely can't decide which photo is the worst. Okay. And she posted like a bunch of photos of Selena and Benny, who are a very cute couple, by the way. And then Haley liked the post. And this TikToker made it a point to say that Haley liked the post, yet Haley's rep is coming out to say that Haley didn't like the post.

00:21:19 - 00:21:22 | Speaker 2:

Doesn't she have a history of doing stuff like this? Yes, absolutely.

00:21:22 - 00:21:35 | Speaker 3:

Why do we always have to hate people? She's just nastier. Maybe Haley is not. Maybe she did not do that. And maybe she said she doesn't know how that happened. Or maybe this influencer is just trying to get viral.

00:21:36 - 00:22:04 | Speaker 1:

If it was a first time thing, I would agree with you. Unfortunately, it's a pattern. Fans forced to evacuate the Chase Center on Saturday night after a fire alarm went off during the Pistons Golden State Warriors game. Happened during the first quarter. And then there was a message that popped up on the Jumbotron that read attention. There has been a fire alarm reported in the building. Proceed to the nearest exit and leave. Do not use elevators. Would you guys leave if that was on there? No. Would you sit your butt in your seat?

00:22:04 - 00:22:05 | Speaker 3:

And nobody was.

00:22:05 - 00:22:07 | Speaker 1:

And like maybe 20% of people left.

00:22:07 - 00:22:10 | Speaker 3:

Everybody stayed in their seats. The only people that left were the people in the cheap seats.

00:22:11 - 00:22:15 | Speaker 1:

It was a false alarm. Like, I'm not walking up. So they told everybody to go back to their seats, but nobody cared. Yes.

00:22:16 - 00:22:26 | Speaker 3:

By the way, and that was a game, I think that wasn't a game, that Steph Curry had another record that came out. It was like, he's always, I know this guy's unbelievable.

00:22:27 - 00:22:43 | Speaker 1:

Anybody watching American Idol? No, it just started right here last night. Yeah. So last night's premiere episode, we got to see Brian Luttrell from the Backstreet Boys given a little help to his son, Bailey, who actually auditioned for the show with an original song.

00:22:43 - 00:22:47 | Speaker 3:

I don't know what to do anymore.

00:22:48 - 00:23:00 | Speaker 1:

I seem to be all alone in this world. He got three yeses from the judges. Of course. This is cheating. Carrie Underwood's a new judge.

00:23:00 - 00:23:03 | Speaker 3:

How is that cheating? LeBron's got Bronny. What are you talking about?

00:23:04 - 00:23:12 | Speaker 1:

They're not shooting together. You can't sing with him? Doesn't Bailey Luttrell already have a solo career?

00:23:12 - 00:23:13 | Speaker 3:

I don't know.

00:23:13 - 00:23:18 | Speaker 1:

I feel like he already kind of tours a little bit. So I was surprised to see him on Idol.

00:23:18 - 00:23:28 | Speaker 3:

I do know this. Brian Luttrell has lost his voice. I was watching some, I don't know, one of the TV shows or whatever, and he starts off, I Want It That Way, and he couldn't do it.

00:23:28 - 00:23:29 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that makes me so sad.

00:23:30 - 00:23:34 | Speaker 3:

I think he's got vocal cord issues. Well, they're at the Sphere selling tickets.

00:23:34 - 00:23:35 | Speaker 1:

Kindest human being, by the way.

00:23:35 - 00:23:43 | Speaker 2:

But there was a, was it a documentary or something where the boys were fighting over the fact that he couldn't sing anymore in like a board meeting room?

00:23:45 - 00:23:47 | Speaker 3:

Are you auditioning with someone?

00:23:51 - 00:23:56 | Speaker 1:

All right, and lastly, Daylight Savings yesterday, screwing me up.

00:23:56 - 00:23:57 | Speaker 3:

Is it?

00:23:57 - 00:24:30 | Speaker 1:

I have never thought that I would be that person that was like, oh, it's really messing with me. But it's actually really messing with me. Yesterday, I feel like every time this happens, it kind of renews this annual debate over just ending the damn thing for good. More than half, actually 54% of Americans support just getting rid of Daylight Savings time. That's according to a new Gallup poll. Medical experts, though, say standard time promotes better sleep, lowers health risks like heart attacks and workplace accidents. But didn't we get rid of this a couple of years ago?

00:24:30 - 00:24:52 | Speaker 3:

No, no. It's always been the thing to talk about. I actually loved yesterday. Yesterday was one of my favorite days I've had in a long time because, A, the Dairy Queen opened by my house, which I posted up on social media. Anybody from the Kego Harbor area knows that's always a good day. and number two it felt so good that i didn't have to turn lights on in my house until like

00:24:52 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 1:

eight o'clock at night i love it for that but like it screwed up my dogs so my dogs were like up and

00:25:00 - 00:25:12 | Speaker 2:

It's like the weirdest morning. For all of today's Dirty, catch up on the podcast on the iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com. Some things will never change. The lonely loner seems to freeze mine at night.

00:26:31 - 00:26:31 | Speaker 1:

I did a nice picture with him. Yep, it was really nice.

00:26:33 - 00:26:36 | Speaker 1:

00:26:36 - 00:26:40 | Speaker 3:

He was just shopping. Yep, he was shopping and my husband called him and said, Jalen. And he got to take a picture with him.

guys, the post, he was doing a pizza review, and I saw that the Dearborn Meat Market, the nephew of the owner was there, his niece was there trying to get him to go there, and he was like, I can't go for, you know, that's cheating. You're the owner who's trying to get me to come there, but I don't think he ever reviews meat. I've never seen him review meat. For a clean win, you gotta get one of these next two. Question number four, I can't believe that she's 42. Carrie Underwood. Carrie Underwood turns 42 years old today. What reality competition singing show is she currently a judge on? American Idol. What's the name of the arena where the Spartans basketball team plays? I watched this game yesterday with my family, the Breslin Center. There you go. Nice job. Congratulations. Big win. Ten in a row now. Nice. Getting closer towards the 15. And remember, she wasn't even supposed to play with us. Yeah. She was just a complaint caller, like 99.9% of the callers that we got. And we made her into now our 5 at $6.55, 10-time winner. Congratulations, Erica. Nice job. Thank you. Ashanti, I think I got some good prizes for you. I'm going to set you up with something good. Would you want to come and celebrate St. Patrick's Day with the Mojo in the Morning Show? We're going to be doing Irish off Ionia this year instead of on Ionia, because there's a fun little party happening, and we're going to get some drinks in you. If you would like to be part of it. Hi. Oh, he's back. Hold on. He's back. I didn't even notice you there. I apologize. Hi. Thank you, Mojo.

00:32:58 - 00:33:04 | Speaker 1:

I'm very happy to be back. Did you see me move to see who he was talking to?

00:33:05 - 00:33:08 | Speaker 2:

You know what? It's so nice to see you, Mr. Leprechaun. Who else?

00:33:08 - 00:33:14 | Speaker 1:

Mr. Leprechaun, say yay. Yay. Can I tell you, less Jamaican, more Irish.

00:33:14 - 00:33:31 | Speaker 2:

Very good to you. Hi, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi. Thank you, Megan. I know you are. Oh, there it is. You are the 100% Irish on the show. I am. Well, happy St. Patrick's Day to you, my dear. Thank you, thank you. Good to have you here. I came over.

00:33:32 - 00:33:38 | Speaker 1:

And then we got into Doubtfire. All of a sudden, it's Mrs. Doubtfire into a Chinese man.

00:33:40 - 00:34:21 | Speaker 2:

How happy are you to be off Ionia this year? I hated Ionia. I didn't like all those curmudgeons that like to say you can't have a drink and party all day. It is very Mrs. Doubtfire. And you know what? I'm going to say this to those people that didn't like Irish on Ionia. We brought you lots of business and it was just one day of fun. I actually thought that that was pretty interesting. You know, it's funny. I get it. It's a Saturday, whatever. But it's like a Saturday where you can just have crazy fun. And you could, if they wanted to, they could be passing out all their propaganda that they have for their business. It's literally insane to not want to have this activity on your street.

00:34:21 - 00:34:32 | Speaker 1:

But honestly, guys, it's not going to be that different because I feel like we're always outside drinking anyway, either in front of the stage or like in a tent or something. So it's just like the location has shifted a little bit. That's it.

00:34:32 - 00:35:00 | Speaker 2:

The energy's still there. And I want you guys to know something. I'm running for the mayor of Grand Rapids. I'm going to be announcing this. everybody's running for mayor of Detroit. I've got to start somewhere. I'm going to start in Grand Rapids. I'm running for mayor of Grand Rapids, and when I run for mayor of Grand Rapids, we're going to change the name of Ionia, and we're going to reprogram Ionia's straight name. I'm just going to start changing names. And we're going to actually move We're called our plan.

00:35:00 - 00:35:13 | Speaker 3:

We're going to be making that Ionia. We're going to screw up everybody's street names. Name it a... Hey, if Trump can make it the Gulf of America, I'm making it the Gulf of Ionia. Here's the thing.

00:35:13 - 00:35:18 | Speaker 1:

Whatever you run for, I'm going to run against you. We have to have a debate where all we do is promote the show.

00:35:18 - 00:35:38 | Speaker 3:

That's it. That's all we're going to do. And you know what? We are going to do that, and I'm going to be making Grand Rapids great again. I'm going to do it. If you're going to change Ionia, just name it. Ah, ta-ta-ta-ta street. Ah, ta-ta-ta-ta. Woo! Yes, I'm telling you, we're going to have some fun. This is going to be a good time, so get ready for it, guys. It's going to be fun.

00:35:39 - 00:35:51 | Speaker 4:

This is your favorite president deporting people by the day. Mojo, watch yourself. We'll deport your happy ass right back to Cuba. Are you listening, Cuba?

00:35:53 - 00:36:01 | Speaker 3:

All right, here we go. We got some winners. Lindsay from Livonia is with us this morning. Lindsay from Livonia, how are you?

00:36:01 - 00:36:03 | Speaker 1:

Hello, good morning. I'm great, thank you.

00:36:03 - 00:36:10 | Speaker 3:

Hey, we love you, Lindsay. You're coming to the party. You're going to be going to Irish Off Ionia on Saturday.

00:36:11 - 00:36:13 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that's amazing. Thank you.

00:36:13 - 00:36:13 | Speaker 3:

You know what?

00:36:13 - 00:36:14 | Speaker 4:

I'm so excited.

00:36:14 - 00:36:34 | Speaker 3:

If you've never been, I say to everybody, it's the biggest for our region's St. Patrick's Day party. And I know we have a really nice parade in downtown Detroit, and it's great and everything, but this really is fun, and it's literally a much younger crowd. It's a much younger crowd than what you see at the Detroit Parade. Lindsay?

00:36:35 - 00:37:09 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Can I get a Ha-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta That dude look up in the tree. Who else in the leprechaun say yes?

00:37:12 - 00:37:25 | Speaker 3:

Crazy. Hold on a second. We're going to get a little closer to Grand Rapids from Delton. Dakota from Delton is going to be going to Irish off Ionia. Yes. How you doing, Dakota?

00:37:25 - 00:37:27 | Speaker 4:

All right. What's happening? Great. Yourself?

00:37:27 - 00:37:37 | Speaker 3:

Good. I was thinking that Dakota was going to be a hot girl. I take back my double D's. We got a good-looking dude on the phone with us. How you doing, buddy?

00:37:38 - 00:37:39 | Speaker 4:

Hey, good.

00:37:40 - 00:37:41 | Speaker 3:

It's nice to have you on.

00:37:41 - 00:37:45 | Speaker 4:

First off, I'm a first-time lawyer. Hey! Dakota is on the phone!

00:37:46 - 00:37:51 | Speaker 3:

And you know what? We're going to have your head in a toilet this weekend, buddy. We're going to have some fun.

00:37:53 - 00:37:54 | Speaker 4:

I look forward to it.

00:37:54 - 00:37:59 | Speaker 3:

All right. You behave yourself, but not. Have fun on Saturday, okay? You don't have to work on Sunday.

00:38:01 - 00:38:03 | Speaker 4:

Sounds good. Dakota, let me get a...

00:38:03 - 00:38:13 | Speaker 3:

that was good that was so good hang on the phone for a second and we'll grab some information from

00:38:13 - 00:38:18 | Speaker 2:

you okay all right thanks all right appreciate you buddy i can't stop laughing it's so funny

00:38:18 - 00:38:29 | Speaker 3:

irishoffionia.com to get your tickets irishoffionia.com uh it's mojo in the morning show So who are you calling out with this next topic?

00:38:30 - 00:39:38 | Speaker 2:

Okay. I understand that you could call me out for a plethora of similar things. But there are some trends that just don't work for everyone. Okay. Okay. Case in point, I met Wes at the gym over the weekend. And he was coming from somewhere else, so he drove separately. I met him up. He was saving the treadmill for me. And I see him and I stop because he is wearing like a long sleeve workout shirt, some like workout shorts, and then he is wearing white tube socks pulled up to like mid calf. OK, what's wrong with that? They were not the right kind of tube socks to do that with. They were like, imagine a 65 year old grandpa taking his kids to the zoo and the tube socks are a little stretched out and they're saggy. They were saggy tube socks. And he is standing there, you guys, like this. Like, he is feeling so cool about this trend that he is trying out. And I could not stop laughing.

00:39:39 - 00:39:48 | Speaker 3:

The poor guy. I'm not a tube socks back guy like the days of the Pistons bad boys. Yeah. Where they would wear their socks up. I don't like it.

00:39:48 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 2:

Like, the college bros can pull it off. Yeah. They're back. The college bros can pull it off, but they've got to be like tight and not falling down. I feel like he was like going like this.

00:40:00 - 00:40:07 | Speaker 3:

with them no i disagree the tights aren't in they gotta have like the ribbed no kind of sludge but

00:40:07 - 00:41:14 | Speaker 4:

they okay these were soggy soggy is a good word okay are you getting the visual now here's why i feel like i'm never winning because i feel personally attached right now nope yours are tight i'm wearing tube top tube sock currently but are you showing them off or no yeah that's kind of like uh those are good yeah those are okay okay but here's the thing i have young friends because i am cool and i was wearing different socks and shoes and my girlfriend sat down and said you have to change you look so old and so i know where wes is coming from wait what did you do wrong i was wearing short socks and different shoes i had to get rid of all of my tennis shoes because they were not cool i got you so i had to go get air force back for women too huh yes i go get air force ones which are now the only tennis shoes i'm allowed to wear according to my friends and they are mad at my other nikes that are brand new and i could not return them and tube socks and i feel like an idiot every time i leave the house and now you leave and you say don't do this and it's like what am i supposed to do but yours are do you

00:41:14 - 00:41:21 | Speaker 3:

know what i'm talking about like the grandpa who's got varicose veins and the socks like you gotta

00:41:21 - 00:41:29 | Speaker 4:

wear a strap to keep them up. That's what they looked like. Can I get a little bit of props for getting my foot that far up in the air when you ask to see? Because, like, that hurt.

00:41:30 - 00:41:36 | Speaker 2:

I never thought that this trend would come back. It's like, for the women, you know, it's coming back, too. So for the guys, it's like...

00:41:36 - 00:41:42 | Speaker 3:

I think it's very cute on girls. I don't know that the guys should be the women. I hate it.

00:41:42 - 00:41:53 | Speaker 4:

No, I hate it because it reminds me of the third-grade science textbooks I used to have. And, like, this is what the nerdy kids were wearing with their goggles and their beakers. Like, this is so stupid.

00:41:54 - 00:41:59 | Speaker 2:

I'm not a big person with some of these trends that are coming back from, like, the past, like the bell-bottom jeans.

00:41:59 - 00:42:00 | Speaker 4:

I like this.

00:42:00 - 00:42:08 | Speaker 2:

I don't know if I like it that much. I think especially, Megan, you should not like it because this is when you should be showing off that hot body of yours.

00:42:08 - 00:42:28 | Speaker 4:

Here's what everybody's getting wrong about bell-bottoms. They make your ass look amazing. And they're still tight to the knees. And they're way more comfortable than skinny jeans or these stupid mom jeans that I've been wearing for the past year that I absolutely hate with these, like, wide-cut legs. No. Bell-bottoms make your ass look fantastic.

00:42:30 - 00:42:35 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Who can't pull off certain trends?

00:42:35 - 00:42:45 | Speaker 3:

By the way, you're right. I'm wearing kind of a mom jean today, and I feel like it's so saggy in the front. It's like pat down past my Christmas. It is not flattering. I understand.

00:42:45 - 00:43:00 | Speaker 2:

And, and, and I don't like the, uh, the, the other one too is, uh, um, and you don't like it usually when your parent is the one taking it. So does Wes's kids ever say anything to him about wearing, uh, his daughter is pretty,

00:43:00 - 00:43:09 | Speaker 3:

I was spoken about that stuff where she will not hide. Like if, if he is not looking, not cool, but yeah, usually it's, it goes past me first.

00:43:09 - 00:43:36 | Speaker 2:

I, uh, I was out drinking on Friday and I had like literally two drinks and got so wasted. But before I got wasted, one of the guys that I saw that I was out with said, I was listening to you this morning and I just want to tell Shannon one thing. And the guy was actually had it a few drinks since I was talking to. She was making fun of her husband using just for men. I know she's got to be dyeing her hair, too. Oh, a million percent. So you tell her that women can get away with it, guys can get away with it.

00:43:37 - 00:43:43 | Speaker 3:

I wasn't making fun of him for using just for men, by the way. I was saying he needs to stop using it because I love his gray hair. You like your gray, yeah. Yeah.

00:43:44 - 00:43:46 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Joe? Hi, Joe. What's going on?

00:43:48 - 00:43:49 | Speaker 1:

Hey, good morning. How you doing?

00:43:49 - 00:43:51 | Speaker 2:

Fantastic, buddy. What's happening?

00:43:52 - 00:43:57 | Speaker 1:

No, yeah, I heard Shannon talking about socks that won't stay up. They're called quitters.

00:43:58 - 00:44:00 | Speaker 2:

Quitters? Quitters.

00:44:02 - 00:44:16 | Speaker 1:

They were discovered leaving Cedar Point a long time ago. Oh, my God. You know, when they get wet, they're just sagging, and some lady was walking out, and my buddy was like, oh, man, look at her quitters.

00:44:16 - 00:44:18 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that is so funny.

00:44:18 - 00:44:18 | Speaker 3:

I'm using that.

00:44:19 - 00:44:23 | Speaker 2:

Joe, do you wear those? Are you a big guy?

00:44:23 - 00:44:25 | Speaker 1:

I wear all tights, but no, I don't wear quitters.

00:44:25 - 00:44:42 | Speaker 2:

I don't like it. I'm not a big socks guy. I don't like the socks coming up too high. I'm not into it. Nope. Nope, not at all. Yeah. And also the other thing, too, is do you remember back in the day when do you remember who used to work on the show Slim back in the day?

00:44:42 - 00:44:46 | Speaker 1:

Do you remember him at all? Oh, yeah. No, I remember Slim, Kyra, all of them.

00:44:46 - 00:45:10 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. So Slim used to wear tube socks or high socks with his slides. Yeah. And we would make fun of him all the time for wearing them. That's now back. in style like that and that's been in style for a little bit but we used to make fun of them all the time for that and uh and i apologize to you slim you were ahead of your trend so uh all right

00:45:10 - 00:45:23 | Speaker 1:

smojo in the morning you can't do the no shows bro that's what it is no shows anymore i don't rock with no shows you gotta have some socks on you can't do mid socks i'm telling you highs are the way to go because they're adjustable so if you want to go all the way up you can if you want

00:45:23 - 00:45:29 | Speaker 2:

to push it down you can't i wear no shows all the time with my uh with my shoes yeah you're doing

00:45:29 - 00:45:49 | Speaker 1:

it wrong, bro. Look, he's got freshy hokas today. I mean, you got jeans on, though, so you kind of getting away with them with the jeans, but if you was out here with your khaki shorts on with the no-shows, then to Shannon's point, you go to the zoo. It's so funny. Wes goes, when I show my ankles, your listeners bitch, and now you're bitching at me for these socks that are covering up. I'm like, you're right. You can't win. You don't

00:45:49 - 00:46:08 | Speaker 2:

like the no-shows on there, Kev, because you got big old fat cankles, so you just don't like them at all. Have you seen your feet in a while? No, I haven't. I lost a little bit of weight I finally got I finally get to see my dicky do Don't say that

00:46:08 - 00:46:09 | Speaker 1:

Jesus

00:46:09 - 00:48:14 | Speaker 2:

Alright it's Mojo on the morning show So I would like to say this Please keep A young lady who I do not know Who she is in your prayers But I saw this news story over the weekend And it really hit home for me Because you heard me talk last week About how Luke was going to be away for spring break Like, he went to Punta Cana, and then a story broke about a girl that was missing in Punta Cana. And I saw this story on the news last night, and it just literally, if this story came out while he was still there, before he came home, I would have flown to Dominican Republic, and I would have brought his ass home. And anybody that's traveling for any kind of spring breaks, like these high school kids that are going on spring breaks, seriously if you guys don't go together in packs and if you leave anybody or if you try to they said that maybe she tried to go swimming like in the um you know middle of the night don't do that stuff that's like the worst water that you can possibly be swimming in stay in a swimming pool and don't go into the to the ocean but um i'll play you something from that coming up here in a second but i want to talk real quick so luke got finally back his last day was insanity though And it was one of those situations where I felt like, oh, crap, he's going to get stuck in another country. Which, by the way, if that has ever happened to anybody, has anybody ever been out of the country and they, like, lost their passport and couldn't get back into the States? What happens? I've always wondered that. And thank God I didn't have to worry about that with Luke. But get ready for this. On Friday, Chelsea calls me up in a panic because Luke lost his wallet and broke his phone. And so he was away on spring break with a bunch of Michigan State kids. They were in the Dominican Republic in Punta Cana, and he had literally no phone to communicate with us on. He had to call from some friend's phone. And here's the interesting thing. He only knew his mom's number. He doesn't have my number memorized, which, thank God, he knew his mom's number.

00:48:14 - 00:48:19 | Speaker 1:

I was going to say, I feel like that's everybody right now. You don't memorize numbers anymore.

00:48:19 - 00:49:20 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I, you know, everything's right in your phone and think about when your phone and his phone, he didn't do anything to it. Cause I saw his phone afterwards. I'm like, I'm examining it going, did you drop it in water? Or did you just like the phone was, it was on the Apple screen. He and I spent gosh, more than an hour and a half on the phone with Apple care, trying to figure out how to reboot his phone. He didn't bring a computer with him. So there was no way to reboot your phone. So he had to go and find another kid there that had a computer with him so he could plug it in because you have to plug it into just any computer to be able to do it. Then when we tried to do it, it didn't work. And, you know, nowadays, you don't get on airplanes with paper tickets anymore. You get on airplanes with digital tickets. So he had to figure out how to get through and do that. So it was just a mess and it was insane. He supposedly got married to some girl there. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Well, you can't just breeze past that. He sent his mom a text and said to his mom, he goes, I think I'm getting married tonight. And she's like, do not sign any paperwork.

00:49:21 - 00:49:24 | Speaker 1:

Some girl that he met from his school or a different school? I have no idea.

00:49:24 - 00:49:34 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I guess, you know, but, you know, knowing Luke, it'd probably be just some random girl in the lobby. He said he wanted to get married before Joe did just to piss Joe off.

00:49:34 - 00:49:35 | Speaker 1:

That's how you do it.

00:49:35 - 00:49:58 | Speaker 2:

So that was, so it was honestly crazy. And talk about a sobering moment because it was his last night there. So his last night there, he couldn't do anything, which thank God for that, that he was smart enough to realize it. But what do you do if you can't get back into the country? Like, how do you get back into the country without all your appropriates? You know, Marceau, you there?

00:49:59 - 00:50:18 | Speaker 1:

Yes, I'm. here hey what's going on hey so i was just calling um to answer that question about the passport if you lose it and you're coming in to the country um all they do is uh send you to secondary inspection and they find your information and you're all set really so it's not a weird

00:50:18 - 00:50:23 | Speaker 3:

situation where they all of a sudden say you're no longer a citizen you can't come here no no way

00:50:23 - 00:50:26 | Speaker 1:

They can't do that. That's unconstitutional.

00:50:27 - 00:50:31 | Speaker 3:

Well, how crazy is it, though, in that situation? So your daughter did this?

00:50:33 - 00:50:52 | Speaker 1:

I left my baby's birth certificate here in Michigan, and when I was coming back, I forgot that I had it. I told the officer, and he was like, okay, well, they're going to send you to a secondary inspection. Went in there, they put us inside the little offices, and they just checked their information. That was it.

00:50:53 - 00:51:24 | Speaker 3:

Wow. Man, yeah, that would honestly freak me out. I'm one of those when we've traveled and we've gone, you know, to Mexico a bunch of times. Actually, my brother lives in Puerto Vallarta, so we've gone to visit our kid's uncle. And I'm, like, holding the passports. Nobody else is allowed to hold the passports because I'm worried about what's going on. Here's that story about that missing Pitt student. So this is a girl that lives on the East Coast. And I don't even, actually, I think she's from India, too. Like, I think she's studying here.

00:51:24 - 00:52:54 | Speaker 2:

Tonight, the desperate search for a college student on spring break missing in the Dominican Republic. A helicopter flying above the water off Punta Cana, searching for Sudik Shakunanki, seen here on this missing poster. Search and rescue teams starting today before sunrise. Dive teams joining the search. Dominican officials say the 20-year-old University of Pittsburgh student was last seen on surveillance camera Thursday just before 5 in the morning. It's not clear if she was alone or with other people. Konanki is an Indian citizen living in Virginia outside Washington, D.C. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office in Virginia says she was traveling with five other women, all students at Pitt, including her best friend from high school. Investigators say the women are believed to have been staying at the same hotel in Punta Cana, the Hotel Ryu Republica, according to the Dominican Foreign Ministry. All six women were scheduled to return on Friday. The five friends are still in the Dominican Republic. A major question for investigators, who was last with her? The U.S. State Department has issued a travel advisory for the Dominican Republic, level two out of four, asking Americans to use increased caution, saying violent crime, including armed robbery, homicide, and sexual assault is a concern. Jesus, and our kids are going there on vacations? And, Lindsay, we are just getting late word from investigators in the Dominican Republic We're being told they believe she may have drowned. We're being told that she was on the beach with a group of people. Some of them left. She stayed and went swimming with somebody. They are still searching for her, Lindsay.

00:52:54 - 00:54:31 | Speaker 3:

All right, so this is the deal. This is the deal. And I know we got a lot of moms and dads and kids that are getting ready to start high school right now. And the seniors go on these trips. If your kid's going by themselves, you got to make sure that there's some kind of a parent that becomes their parent that time. Because I've gone on these stupid trips before. and of course this last one Chelsea and I can't go because we they're the kids in college and for some reason no college parents go next time I'm going I don't even care if he doesn't know I'm going I'm going to go and be a private investigator there but these kids you cannot go off in the middle what time they say she was like five in the morning three and five a.m. they think and going swimming in the ocean at that time like what are you doing but man oh man we got to pray and hope that this is that uh you know somebody is able to find her I always I asked Luke I said Luke you know how safe did you did you feel there and he said well he said you know the people would ask like the people that work there would ask them if they wanted certain things and stuff and trying to get them to sell things to them and I'm like man you know they're not out for your best interest people are not you know the people that I always feel like there's somebody that's looking to take advantage of you somehow and you just got to protect yourself and so there's a little bit of impacts type thing like where you're in groups you you're more safe because there's enough people there that they don't want witnesses to what's about to happen um all right yeah it's mojo in the morning all right we're giving you a chance to win a trip oh boy that was coming out That almost came out. I'll keep that thing down.

00:54:35 - 00:54:40 | Speaker 2:

By the way, if you could be a Disney princess, which Disney princess? I saw you had the vote yesterday. Who won?

00:57:21 - 00:57:24 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so Jasmine by far.

00:57:24 - 00:57:25 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah.

00:57:25 - 00:57:31 | Speaker 4:

Everybody voted Jasmine, and so now I'm getting FOMO, and I wish I brought a Jasmine outfit, so I'm going to go get some Jasmine Mickey ears today.

00:57:32 - 00:57:36 | Speaker 3:

There's nothing better than adulting as being a Disney adult.

00:57:36 - 00:57:38 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to turn into a Disney adult like Joe.

00:57:38 - 00:57:42 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God, don't. It's embarrassing for me as a dad. Why?

00:57:42 - 00:57:44 | Speaker 1:

We don't say this about guys who wear jerseys.

00:57:44 - 00:57:46 | Speaker 3:

You know, it's...

00:57:46 - 00:57:47 | Speaker 1:

Is it the same? Yes.

00:57:47 - 00:57:50 | Speaker 3:

When he wears a Mickey Mouse jersey, I go, geez, that's my kid.

00:57:50 - 00:57:51 | Speaker 4:

He does not.

00:57:51 - 00:57:51 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:57:51 - 00:57:53 | Speaker 4:

That's what I'm wearing to the broadcast today, Mickey Mouse jersey.

00:57:53 - 00:58:00 | Speaker 3:

He's got a Mickey Mouse jersey, and it's got Mickey the amount of years that Mickey has been alive as his jersey number. It's like a hockey jersey.

00:58:00 - 00:58:01 | Speaker 4:

Love it.

00:58:01 - 00:58:02 | Speaker 3:

I'm like, they're a hockey player.

00:58:02 - 00:58:03 | Speaker 4:

That's exactly what I'm wearing today.

00:58:03 - 00:58:04 | Speaker 3:

Are you really?

00:58:05 - 00:58:07 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'm actually wearing it right now.

00:58:07 - 00:58:16 | Speaker 3:

And I think he bought it. I don't think they gave it to him for free. No, I bought mine too. All right, we'll talk to you later, Bianca. All right, peace out. Great job.

00:58:17 - 00:58:19 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:58:19 - 00:58:21 | Speaker 3:

All right, Shannon, what you got in this hour's Dirty on the 30?

00:58:21 - 00:58:25 | Speaker 1:

So, the Michigan-Michigan State game yesterday that, Kev, I'm so sorry you couldn't be out.

00:58:25 - 00:58:39 | Speaker 3:

Ah, you know, everything happens for a reason. We're going to talk about you not feeling good. You were sick all weekend. You were sick on Friday, Kev. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You were supposed to announce the game yesterday, and you had to call in sick. I don't think I've ever known that you've ever done that before. That's how you know it was a real thing. Wow.

00:58:39 - 00:58:48 | Speaker 1:

Well, I was listening to the news station on the way in this morning, and I loved it. All they could say was, there was a kerfuffle. There was a kerfuffle midcourt.

00:58:48 - 00:58:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Kaysen and Pippen there were maybe standing in center court. Holloman, I can't tell you about that. You're right.

00:58:58 - 00:59:19 | Speaker 1:

So here's what happened. Michigan guard Fat Fat Brooks shoved Michigan State guard Trey Holloman, you just heard there, at midcourt at the Breslin Center. It has been a tradition since, like, the mid-'90s for seniors to kiss the Spartans' logo in their final home game. and the Wolverines were, like, blocking where that happens.

00:59:19 - 00:59:23 | Speaker 3:

What's up with the Wolverines and the logos at mid-court or mid-field?

00:59:23 - 00:59:35 | Speaker 1:

I hate this. So there was this kerfuffle before officials. Michigan coach Dusty May and Michigan State assistants went in and then actually separated the players. Here's Dusty May.

00:59:36 - 00:59:47 | Speaker 2:

Trey Holloman shelved a couple players, but it looked like they might have been standing on the logo where Michigan State tends to... Just what did you see? were they aware of that tradition was it intentional or what did you see i didn't know

00:59:47 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 4:

there was a tradition where they're shooting free throw and we have guys standing half court that there's not a tradition that we can't stand half court as the game's going on so i'm not familiar with that one is that a tradition okay oh yeah yeah no problem

01:00:00 - 01:00:31 | Speaker 1:

that and obviously it took longer than any 10 uh f2 timeout monitors you know whatever the case it took a while but we're fine with that they've earned the right for that the seniors have poured their hearts out as far as the whatever happened i i did are we not aware are we not allowed to stand a half court while they're shooting a free throw is that what oh you are okay so yeah so he walked up and did i mean look they they earned the right to rub our noses in it it is what it We have to play better. It's not a rubber nose. And so we move on.

01:00:31 - 01:00:37 | Speaker 6:

By the way, they do it still if they lost that game. They still do the same exact tradition if they would have lost that game.

01:00:38 - 01:00:39 | Speaker 7:

Every single year. Yeah.

01:00:39 - 01:00:47 | Speaker 4:

Well, they got to have their kiss tradition, went on to beat Michigan 79-62. Here's Trey Holloman.

01:00:48 - 01:01:00 | Speaker 2:

The little freshmen, they were standing on the spurhead where the seniors kiss it. And they were like, we're not moving. And then, you know, I just had to move him.

01:01:01 - 01:01:07 | Speaker 4:

Do we have the clip of Tom Izzo, Coach Izzo, talking about this?

01:01:07 - 01:01:09 | Speaker 6:

Yes, Tom Izzo after the game.

01:01:14 - 01:01:44 | Speaker 5:

But, actually, 25, 35 years ago, you know, we had a little happening here. And I give Michigan a lot of credit. He's done a hell of a job. No, no, I'm serious But we have a freaking tradition here Nobody Nobody Is changing our tradition

01:01:44 - 01:01:50 | Speaker 4:

He said freaking, right? Freaking He said freaking Somebody in the crowd He said freaking

01:01:50 - 01:01:56 | Speaker 6:

Somebody I'm sorry It's a news clip You can do that in news clips I love the news

01:01:56 - 01:02:07 | Speaker 7:

Yeah Yeah, Dusty May wants to play dumb and act like everybody can just stand at half court. You know what was going on.

01:02:07 - 01:02:08 | Speaker 6:

And how long it takes. Come on.

01:02:08 - 01:02:09 | Speaker 7:

Come on, man.

01:02:10 - 01:02:52 | Speaker 6:

They played this game against, I think, Wisconsin one year. I remember I was at that game. And Wisconsin's coach, that guy Bo Ryan, was kind of a dick. And he understood it. This isn't about anything other than the seniors. And many of these seniors literally have stuck with the program when they could have gone somewhere else and not had to come back their senior year. Nowadays with NIL, obviously, they're getting paid. They want to stay. But I just think that it's just classless. This is their moment. And again, I love the Wolverines when they're losing to the – although I'm worried about seeing them for a third time in the Big Ten tournament because it's hard to beat a team three times in one year.

01:02:53 - 01:03:11 | Speaker 7:

Shout out to Michigan State, man. This has been an incredible season so far with incredible moments. Capped off with an amazing victory yesterday. The outright Big Ten champions. They also are the Big Ten champions in hockey who had a great moment being recognized also on the floor yesterday. What an incredible day for the green and white, man. Shout out to Izzo. 30th season.

01:03:12 - 01:03:23 | Speaker 6:

Hang a banner. I love that guy. I said it in that clip that's up on our Instagram. The guy should run for governor. He would win. There's not a person, Republican or Democrat, that wouldn't vote for Tom Izzo. Now back to you, Shannon.

01:03:24 - 01:03:53 | Speaker 4:

Really sad update on the very mysterious death of actor Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy. We've now gotten a lot more details. The story is just so nutty to me. So they died of natural causes a week apart. The state medical examiner's office said Betsy died first, probably around February 11th of a rare viral infection, something called Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome, which is spread through an infection by rodents.

01:03:53 - 01:03:55 | Speaker 6:

Oh, Jesus.

01:03:55 - 01:04:28 | Speaker 4:

Okay, like mice. Gene, they said, probably died around February 18th, a full week later, which remember I told you was when the last activity on his pacemaker was recorded. Their body is found in separate rooms in their very private gated home. The chief medical examiner also noted that Gene Hackman might not have even known his wife had died because he showed advanced signs of Alzheimer's disease. They said he was in a very poor state of health. He had significant heart disease. And that is ultimately what resulted in his death.

01:04:28 - 01:04:35 | Speaker 6:

The Hackman kids are set to inherit 60 plus million dollars from this guy. They didn't check on their old man for that long of a time.

01:04:36 - 01:04:49 | Speaker 3:

That's what I keep saying. Nobody did. And listen, I get that she was the primary care provider for him. and maybe it took a day or two for somebody to check in, but eight days where nobody checked on to him. Nine days total.

01:04:49 - 01:04:51 | Speaker 6:

Those kids should not get a dime from their dad.

01:04:51 - 01:05:00 | Speaker 3:

That is absolutely horrific. Horrific. Taylor Swift fans are convinced that she made a secret appearance on Gaga's...

01:05:00 - 01:05:43 | Speaker 2:

new album mayhem that dropped at the end of last week specifically fans believe that taylor made an appearance on the album's ninth track this one how bad you it sounds like a dang taylor swift song come on um everybody pointed out on social media that the song is a lot more upbeat compared to like the darker pop sounds of the rest of the album i saw one swifty make a comment and it said the production the vocal style the lyrics it is screaming 2014 to 2019 taylor so bad so she's not credited anywhere on the album but if you remember she did this on was it calvin harris this is what you came for oh yeah and didn't use her real name so maybe this is another one of those instances i

01:05:43 - 01:05:46 | Speaker 3:

don't but this totally sounds like a taylor song it does the first time i listened to the album

01:05:46 - 01:06:09 | Speaker 1:

that's the first thing we said i was like that was like casey casem back in the old days little music trivia there by shannon i didn't i forgot about that yeah you are you should fill in for ryan seacrest on american top 40 you do a great job although you did have a swear word slip through during one of your news that was your clip tony tony i think mojo pulled that clip she should

01:06:09 - 01:07:16 | Speaker 2:

have to retake the fcc test no i already took it three dang times i'm not taking it again um and lastly this is a really sad story as well a 10 year old michigan boy died after his foster mom sat on him because he was acting up crushing him under her 340 pound frame jennifer wilson told police that dakota stevens that was her foster son's name had run away from her home that morning she found him at a neighbor's home the boy who was only 91 pounds threw himself on the front lawn outside of her home at which point she sat on him you can die from that while calling his caseworker he was screaming and screaming and screaming eventually stopped moving she was 340 pounds okay so she told police that she thought he was faking being hurt until she noticed that his eyelids had gone pale and again he wasn't moving when she rolled him over he was airlifted to the hospital there was nothing doctors could do he was taken off of life support two days later just a month after he had been placed in this woman's custody. She faces six years in prison if convicted.

01:07:16 - 01:07:27 | Speaker 1:

These foster parents sometimes, you know, majority of them are good people, but there's some bad ones that just want the money for being foster parents. And you see this woman doing what she did.

01:07:28 - 01:07:36 | Speaker 3:

Well, imagine like you're the parents, right? And you're working to get your child back. And then you hear something like this has happened. And now you're hearing only six years.

01:07:37 - 01:07:37 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:07:37 - 01:07:38 | Speaker 3:

That's insane.

01:07:39 - 01:07:42 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. That's a life imprisonment thing. I don't understand that. I think so.

01:07:43 - 01:07:48 | Speaker 2:

Hey, for all of today's dirty, search Mojo in the Morning in the free iHeartRadio app.

01:08:06 - 01:08:22 | Speaker 1:

I'm fantastic, Sierra. I've always wanted to do this. I've always wanted to be the voice of the, hey, Sierra from Wyandotte, you have two kids, a six-year-old son and a four-year-old daughter. Where would you like to go?

01:08:24 - 01:08:26 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to take my kids to Disney World.

01:08:27 - 01:08:30 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, wouldn't that be great? Do you know who used to be the voice of that?

01:08:30 - 01:08:33 | Speaker 4:

That is wonderful. The voice of the thing? He did such a good job.

01:08:33 - 01:08:57 | Speaker 1:

Mark Champion, the voice of Pistons basketball, the radio guy. was the voice of that. Hey, Sierra, blah, blah, blah. He was the guy at one time. See, I know facts, too, like Shannon does. I see. I mean, hers was definitely better than Taylor Swift. Sierra, you're now $50 richer with a $50 Disney cash card, and you're now qualified for a trip. Congratulations.

01:08:58 - 01:09:02 | Speaker 4:

Awesome. Thank you guys so much for the opportunity. Oh, my God. Thank you so much.

01:09:02 - 01:09:42 | Speaker 1:

01:09:42 - 01:09:49 | Speaker 2:

suffocate a kid doing that well you're supposed to get up yeah she didn't until he stopped moving

01:09:49 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 1:

but it's crazy though that she only got six years or only could get six years for that what state is that here oh damn we doing well i think it's in indiana but they're

01:10:00 - 01:10:34 | Speaker 2:

kids from the boys from michigan am i right in that or no i thought i read uh read that on a little better yeah so does he come out of state i think the kid i think that they yeah okay i think the kid was a michigan kid but the lady might have sat on him in indiana or something so uh they're kind of screwy in indiana um all right it's mojo in the morning show kevin is nice to have you here kevin was out sick on friday and felt horrible about this Yesterday, he was supposed to have a big moment happening in his life, and because he was sick, you had to miss this moment.

01:10:35 - 01:11:19 | Speaker 3:

Bruh, I do the Pistons. I'm on the Mojo in the Morning Show, and I have the blessing to be one of the in-game arena hosts for Michigan State. And yesterday, I was on the game, scheduled to be on what is the biggest game on the schedule all year when you have your in-state rival, Michigan Wolverines, coming to the Breslin. That alone is, like, the greatest moment. Then you add on to it that we were the outright Big Ten champions, so you know you're getting a trophy that game, a chance to go undefeated against the Wolverines. You're on the call. It's senior night. It's the last game of the season in the Breslin. You hype as hell, and then you get sick. Man. And you cannot go.

01:11:21 - 01:11:47 | Speaker 2:

I'm sad that you were sick, but I'm glad that you didn't try to fake it and show up because if you would have gotten – Because you're, like, hugging on Coach Izzo and the players. Like, could you imagine right before the tournament, a flu virus sweeps through the Michigan, the Big Ten champion Michigan State Spartans. Like, could you imagine you would be the guy? By the way, if that did happen, would you have fessed up and said that was me that gave him?

01:11:47 - 01:11:49 | Speaker 3:

I'd have to go into hiding. You can't fess up.

01:11:49 - 01:11:50 | Speaker 2:

I was patient number one.

01:11:50 - 01:11:57 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no, no, you can't do that. You can't be the contagion. But, no, I mean. What is that movie, by the way? Contagion. Is that what it is? Yeah.

01:11:57 - 01:12:17 | Speaker 2:

That was like number one on Netflix with all that was going on. Can you imagine if you're coronavirus number one, you're the first person. You're the, you're the, you're the, no, you're the, what is it? Because it said it was in Wuhan. It was, you're the, you're the lab. You're the person in the lab that spilled it over and gave it to everybody.

01:12:17 - 01:12:38 | Speaker 3:

It was so terrible. Even having to send a text message to our game presentation folks in Michigan State Athletics to say, hey, I sent it to them Saturday morning just to give them enough leeway to figure out, you know, how to pivot and do the things that they need to do to make sure the production ran smoothly. To say, hey, just a heads up, I don't know if I'm going to make it. I'm going to do everything I possibly can.

01:12:39 - 01:12:41 | Speaker 2:

Who's the bench guy?

01:12:42 - 01:12:50 | Speaker 3:

Remember TG, who used to do promotions here for iHeart? Oh. So TG does some of the games as well. Okay. Yeah, so TG did it.

01:12:50 - 01:12:57 | Speaker 2:

Did you have your voicemail message from me on Saturday? I didn't listen. I don't listen to voices. Play your voicemail message from me on Saturday if you got it there.

01:12:58 - 01:13:08 | Speaker 5:

While he's looking for that, I could tell Kev was like really down and out because I sent him a text. I wanted to send you a text Friday to like check on you. I had to ask you a question about something and you didn't even respond until Saturday.

01:13:08 - 01:13:12 | Speaker 3:

I just hearted it. Well, I didn't send it until like 11 a.m. or something like that. Yeah, you just like hearted it.

01:13:12 - 01:13:16 | Speaker 5:

And normally you are like right away. At that point it was like, eh. Big message back.

01:13:16 - 01:13:17 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:13:17 - 01:13:21 | Speaker 3:

I think one of your questions was like, what to ask Izzo? At that point the show was over. So I'm like, I don't know what to tell her.

01:13:22 - 01:13:22 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:13:22 - 01:13:24 | Speaker 2:

All right, play the voicemail message.

01:13:24 - 01:13:25 | Unknown:

Let's see.

01:13:25 - 01:13:27 | Speaker 2:

You got it? You don't ever listen to them.

01:13:28 - 01:13:47 | Speaker 1:

Coach Izzo just called me and wants to know if I want to fill in for you because he wrote that you're still sick. So I just want you to know that I'm writing, like, this big intro. I'm really excited about it. And I just wanted to get your approval on it to make sure that it's okay.

01:13:47 - 01:13:48 | Speaker 5:

What's wrong with you?

01:13:48 - 01:13:49 | Speaker 1:

Checking in on you.

01:13:49 - 01:13:49 | Speaker 2:

Who, me?

01:13:49 - 01:13:50 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:13:50 - 01:14:04 | Speaker 2:

I'm a fat guy still. i breathe fat i i don't sound different bro you know what's crazy i'm like i gotta heavy i when i listen to my voicemail messages i'm like yeah like you ran three flights bro first sitting on

01:14:04 - 01:14:22 | Speaker 3:

my couch thursday thursday we were here talking about and give me a little bit of your intro name some of the players we did that on thursday oh my god when i tell you i had a paragraph full of, like, this is what I'm going to say. This is where I'm going to do it.

01:14:22 - 01:14:41 | Speaker 2:

I was so ready to go, but everything happens for a reason. Lydia, here's the topic, okay, and get some people to call us up. What were you sick for? What was the big thing that you missed because you were sick? Because you hear these stories all the time about people that, you know, have, like, a big moment in their life, and they miss it, like a wedding or something.

01:14:41 - 01:14:49 | Speaker 4:

Bro, they're holding the trophy. The confetti is falling. They're raising banners. and I'm at home with chicken noodle soup and cayenne peppers.

01:14:49 - 01:14:53 | Speaker 2:

You Aiden Hutchinson'd the opportunity. You got injured.

01:14:54 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 4:

Dude, this was me every field trip growing up. I was a kid that would get a strep every time.

01:14:59 - 01:15:00 | Speaker 2:

That's the worst.

01:15:00 - 01:15:00 | Speaker 5:

I know.

01:15:01 - 01:15:09 | Speaker 7:

Do you ever, were you guys ever sick on the last day of school when they would have like the big school? The party. Field day. Field day. Field day.

01:15:09 - 01:15:49 | Speaker 2:

Field day is the best day ever. Right. I got sick for field, I got strep in like June for field day. But let me tell you something, Kev, like back to what Mojo said about you don't want to be patient number one. Yeah. My 40th birthday party a couple of years ago, I was really, really sick and I didn't want to tell everybody because my friends had like spent so much time planning it. So I went, and everybody on the bus got influenza B. We all went to the same urgent care to get tested, and nobody wanted to tell everybody else. And apparently at one point the doctor was like, I'm getting a whole bunch of like 40-something women coming in and testing for influenza B, and it was from me.

01:15:49 - 01:15:50 | Speaker 7:

From your birthday.

01:15:50 - 01:15:56 | Speaker 2:

B from birthday. Because I didn't want to miss it, but I should have. Didn't everybody say it? I should have, yeah.

01:15:57 - 01:16:10 | Speaker 7:

Text her hair right now, said, Kev, I was at the game yesterday expecting to hear your voice because I heard Coach Izzo on Friday, and you were missed. That's so sweet. That's 8-1-0 that said that. What's up, Cain? How you doing?

01:16:11 - 01:16:18 | Speaker 1:

Hey, I'm doing good. I was sick on my birthday just on February 17th, and I had to cancel all my plans because I got the flu.

01:16:18 - 01:16:22 | Speaker 7:

Oh, that's the worst. Was it a big birthday number or just like a random birthday?

01:16:23 - 01:16:33 | Speaker 1:

I was turning 25. Oh, that's a big one. She and my girlfriend had my plans. Yeah. Yeah, and she's pregnant right now, so I just, I didn't want to risk getting her sick or getting anybody else sick.

01:16:34 - 01:16:34 | Speaker 5:

Good for you.

01:16:34 - 01:16:51 | Speaker 1:

I actually went into a funeral home to do a job interview because work's been really slow for me through the winter, and they're the only people that have called me back. I've applied 20 different places, and I went in there, and they didn't call me back. I'm wondering if I got that sick. I feel kind of. Oh, no.

01:16:51 - 01:17:02 | Speaker 7:

No, the interesting thing with that is that that's a good business still to be in. It's a recession-proof business. People are always dying. What's up, Lori? How you doing?

01:17:04 - 01:17:06 | Speaker 6:

Hey, I'm good. How are you guys today? Good.

01:17:06 - 01:17:09 | Speaker 7:

Cab missed his big moment. What big moment was missed?

01:17:10 - 01:17:41 | Speaker 6:

My son and his best friend and girlfriend at the time were all going on a trip to Florida, and they were leaving at different times. and this was going to be his big moment. He was going to be popping the question to his girlfriend, and they had everything planned. The ring actually went down with his best man, which is his best friend, and, like, two days prior before him leaving, and Alex was already down there, his friend, he had COVID. Oh, my God.

01:17:43 - 01:17:45 | Speaker 7:

Jeez. Did his girlfriend not go, too?

01:17:46 - 01:17:51 | Speaker 6:

Oh, no, they didn't go because they were planning on going together, and the other couple went.

01:17:51 - 01:17:52 | Speaker 7:

How did he propose then?

01:17:54 - 01:18:09 | Speaker 6:

So he ended up going to Florida. He had, like, Animal Kingdom. He had a room all planned in Animal Kingdom. And the giraffes were going to come up. But he ended up going to Florida probably about a month later and popping the question.

01:18:09 - 01:18:17 | Speaker 7:

Could you imagine if his friend would have lost the ring? Can you imagine if he lost the ring?

01:18:17 - 01:18:18 | Speaker 5:

Just holding a FaceTime up and holding the ring.

01:18:19 - 01:18:20 | Speaker 7:

Asia, what's up?

01:18:21 - 01:18:47 | Speaker 5:

hey y'all um so it was a while ago but i got pneumonia during my fifth grade field trip and we went to like tennessee or something like that okay but it still hurts me to this day because like i still have like the little cards that everybody sent out to me and stuff like that it was devastating but i also want to let y'all know i listen to you guys so much my four-year-old like she goes around saying mojo the morning says you're a doody wedge

01:19:02 - 01:19:17 | Speaker 4:

01:19:17 - 01:19:24 | Speaker 7:

01:19:24 - 01:19:36 | Speaker 4:

01:20:24 - 01:20:39 | Speaker 2:

Oh, man. Well, that would suck the bad. That's a big moment to miss. Laura was actually throwing the surprise party for her mother-in-law and got sick throwing the party?

01:20:40 - 01:20:45 | Speaker 3:

Yes. You guys, I planned the surprise birthday party for my mother-in-law.

01:20:45 - 01:20:51 | Speaker 2:

Do you like your mother-in-law, or is this a mother-in-law we hate? I do. Okay. No, I love her. I was wondering if you got her sick on purpose.

01:20:52 - 01:21:09 | Speaker 3:

No, actually, I didn't even get anybody else sick. I was very surprised. We had the entire family over. I planned everything, made 90% of the food, didn't even make it through her singing happy birthday to her or nothing, and I was in the bathroom, liquid out both ends.

01:21:09 - 01:21:13 | Speaker 2:

All right, all right, all right, all right. I'm hanging up on you.

01:21:14 - 01:21:17 | Speaker 6:

01:22:35 - 01:22:37 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. And you missed it?

01:22:37 - 01:22:39 | Speaker 6:

No, she made it this year. You made it this year?

01:22:39 - 01:22:42 | Speaker 2:

She was sick the two years before that. Okay. Yes.

01:22:43 - 01:22:49 | Speaker 6:

But I love that you took time off from work to make sure you made it. My mom made me do it.

01:22:49 - 01:22:51 | Speaker 7:

So, I love my mom.

01:22:52 - 01:22:53 | Speaker 6:

She's still going,

01:22:53 - 01:23:11 | Speaker 7:

I love my mom. Can I give you guys a shout out? Sure, go ahead. Okay, so I graduate this coming April from Eastern Michigan. I just want to thank you so much for, like, you guys have gotten me so much through college and everything. I freaking love you guys so much. Love you. I'm very excited.

01:23:12 - 01:23:19 | Speaker 2:

So wait a second. Are you saying that since we got you through, we also graduated from college? Because that would be nice.

01:23:20 - 01:23:23 | Speaker 7:

Yes. I love it. We're graduates. Two degrees, baby. I love it.

01:23:23 - 01:23:27 | Speaker 2:

When's graduation? Thank you. We want to hear about it and get some pictures from you.

01:23:28 - 01:23:31 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Oh, my gosh. I'm taking pictures in your guys' shirt.

01:23:32 - 01:23:33 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's... Hold on.

01:23:33 - 01:23:33 | Speaker 7:

For my graduation.

01:23:34 - 01:23:37 | Speaker 2:

Talk to Lydia and let's make sure we get those so we can post them, okay?

01:23:38 - 01:23:40 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. I love them. Yeah.

01:23:41 - 01:23:45 | Speaker 2:

Could you imagine, by the way, if we all walk up with her when she goes and gets her diploma at Eastern?

01:23:45 - 01:23:47 | Speaker 6:

How could I win? We should do that.

01:23:47 - 01:23:53 | Speaker 2:

It's like all of us running up there together. They'd be like, why is there a whole group of people? Huh? What do you think?

01:23:53 - 01:23:55 | Speaker 6:

How come nobody has ever asked us to do a commencement speech?

01:23:56 - 01:23:57 | Speaker 2:

I know.

01:23:57 - 01:23:58 | Speaker 6:

We can get a group picture.

01:23:59 - 01:24:12 | Speaker 2:

One of my favorites is at graduation when you got that kid that's like the first kid in the family that graduates. And their family just makes so much noise that the kid who's right behind them, you can't even know who the kid is. Poor kid. That would be us.

01:24:12 - 01:24:21 | Speaker 1:

All right. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:24:21 - 01:24:23 | Speaker 6:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

01:24:24 - 01:24:26 | Speaker 1:

Live. Mojo.

01:24:31 - 01:24:35 | Speaker 7:

Five, four, three, two, one.

01:24:36 - 01:24:37 | Speaker 6:

Ignition sequence start.

01:24:38 - 01:24:40 | Speaker 1:

Let me take y'all back to the beginning. This is it.

01:24:40 - 01:24:41 | Speaker 2:

All right, are you ready?

01:24:41 - 01:24:43 | Speaker 1:

You're listening to Mojo in the morning.

01:24:44 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 2:

You're a doo-doo hack. Let's go. All right, it is the Mojo in the Morning show. It's good to have you guys here with us. We are uninterrupted, commercial-free.

01:25:00 - 01:27:58 | Speaker 1:

A Mojo in the Morning. Good to have you guys listening to this radio show. Hold on one second. I was going to look real quick. Are we on the Facebook? Yes, we are. We are. You can see us there. I love it. Oh, my God. My belly looks so big on there. All right. Well, then I'm sticking in a little bit. All right. Coming up this hour on the Mojo in the Morning. You're going to like squeeze it in. There's a couple of times where I'll sit back like this. And then there's one time a listener last week said that during our live, which we're live on Facebook and YouTube and TikTok and stuff like that. So a listener said last week they could see me pulling my underwear out from my crotch. They zoomed in. Hot. Coming up here in just a little bit, I got a really interesting DM from an ex. I want to talk about that. Coming up here in just a little bit. And this ex, by the way, meant so much to me. I cried with this ex. i'll talk about that um you have heard people refer to the president as the orange man well one of the ladies here in the studio did some self tanning this weekend and they're the orange lady joining that we'll talk about that in the second date update all coming up why are you not getting a call back we're going to find out coming up here in just a little bit with the second date update that's at 8 20 this morning all right it is uh mojo in the morning so i got a dm from Somebody that was very important in my life, important only from, I guess, the aspect of they deflowered me. The girl that I lost my virginity to DM'd me. What? Yes. Was it like the anniversary? No, it was not. It was not the anniversary. Actually, she DM'd me to congratulate me and congratulate Chelsea on our son getting engaged. That is very nice. Wasn't it? It was. It was actually very, very nice. I don't know. But it brought back, why? But she included Chelsea in it. We talked, though? No, but we're friends on Facebook and Instagram. Just a little random. Go ahead, I'm sorry. That's a big occasion. It was, but you know what it was? And it was not a DM, so okay, so let me explain this, because I'm going to take away my cool factor on this. It wasn't a DM, like, where it was just suddenly I look and I got a message from somebody and I look at it and it's, like, sultry and she's trying to, like, get back in my pants or anything like that. it was her commenting on one of the stories that i had which was a story that involved joe and them okay okay joe and elissa and stuff like that so uh and it was her comment going oh my god this is so crazy can you believe all these years you know later it's like you're now you got a son that's getting you know going to be getting married and i'm like yeah way to make me feel old um but um this was actually an interesting one to tell you about because when i lost my virginity and this is, by the way, for those kids, I'll keep this as clean as possible so you can have

01:27:58 - 01:30:01 | Speaker 1:

your kids listen to it. So when I ate my cookie for the first time, when we were baking cookies for the very first time, it was kind of an interesting circumstance because the girl that I lost my virginity to was not a girl I was dating. She was just a best girlfriend. Like she was a, you guys ever have guy friends that were just guy friends that you hung out with? this was a girl that I just hung out with and it was a girl that she and I were very very close but we were not romantically tied I definitely had feelings for her I don't think she had feelings for me except for that one night did you grow up with her? We grew up in the same neighborhood see that's the best so it was really nice it was cool because I didn't have to lose my virginity like my buddy did to a prostitute which I mean yeah which is a different story oh yeah one of my buddies lost a lost it to uh a girl uh uh brad at the show of shows no uh another one it's a guy i've never talked about on the air but he was a good friend the first time we're not getting a first and last name the place was called the show the place was called the show of shows and it was one of those like strip clubs they'll take you in the back room and and uh deflower and deflower you so let me get back to mine by the way if you've ever lost your uh your virginity to a or to a hooker, you've got to call us up because I'd be wanting to know from you, do you tell people that? Why not? Because I don't think he does. Why not? There's no way that his wife knows that he's had, that he lost his virginity to a hooker. I wear it like a badge of honor. Her name was Cheryl. It was never Cheryl. It was Bonnie. Diamonds. I imagine her being older. Crystal. with like a fake like a meek like one of those short ones like at the waist like i don't know and what was the what was the pimp's name that was there ronald ronald all right Go back to the story.

01:30:01 - 01:30:18 | Speaker 2:

Yes. This is a big moment here right now. So I got emotional because, and tell me if I was bad for doing this. I think I might have taken advantage of her. It was the night that she found out that her mom and dad were getting a divorce. But you baked cookies.

01:30:18 - 01:30:19 | Speaker 4:

Yes. Okay.

01:30:19 - 01:30:22 | Speaker 2:

You caught her in her most vulnerable state.

01:30:22 - 01:30:22 | Speaker 1:

It was bad.

01:30:23 - 01:30:54 | Speaker 2:

I feel horrible for this. Shame on you. No, I feel horrible for it, even to the point that I think that's why I got emotional. She had called me up and told me that her parents were fighting. Her dad and her mom were fighting. Her dad, you know, had a little bit too much to drink or something like that. And so she's like, can you come pick me up? So I'm like, to the rescue. And I got there and we ended up having sex. And we actually made out for the first. It was the first time we ever kissed. And then next thing you know, it went further because she was into it. Because I was a very good kisser.

01:30:55 - 01:30:57 | Speaker 3:

I love that he had to stop the story.

01:30:57 - 01:31:03 | Speaker 1:

His face lit up like you would not believe him. Cap goes, yeah, little Tommy.

01:31:03 - 01:31:05 | Speaker 3:

He's glowing. Yeah, Tommy. Yeah, you are.

01:31:05 - 01:31:08 | Speaker 2:

My sister told me I'm the greatest kisser she's ever kissed.

01:31:09 - 01:31:14 | Speaker 3:

You kissed every pillow in the house. You better be. My hand is pleased.

01:31:14 - 01:31:34 | Speaker 2:

No, so she and I then ended up going further, and I won't go any further than to say that she cried, and I cried with her, and I go, this is unbelievable. And then I thought for sure, oh, my God, I think we're going to start dating. And that was it. It actually kind of affected our relationship afterwards. Because once you do that, you're kind of like.

01:31:35 - 01:31:36 | Speaker 1:

Did you guys ever talk about it after that?

01:31:37 - 01:32:05 | Speaker 2:

We talked about it a couple of times. Like, we talked about it before we went to college and before we went off to school because we totally went. I stayed home for school. She went away to school. And we talked about how, you know, hey, she actually was very appreciative of the fact that I was very good in bed. But I was very good. i was a good like you let it be like i but you know and i didn't yeah but i also was more focused on her and her her parents and stuff like that especially in the moment but i wanted it so bad

01:32:05 - 01:32:10 | Speaker 1:

afterwards like it was so bad i mean so okay question about the dm what did you show it to

01:32:10 - 01:32:29 | Speaker 2:

chelis or did you tell chelis that i've not i did not know okay because it was nothing other than i had a million people that said thank you to me there's for sure i just didn't know like i guess i would i would you would have said something like hey you're never gonna believe we don't chelsea's heard the story before like she's heard the story about me losing how i lost

01:32:29 - 01:32:35 | Speaker 1:

my virginity yeah i just didn't know if she would feel a certain way about this girl reaching out

01:32:35 - 01:33:17 | Speaker 2:

or not that it means anything it doesn't i'm not i'll be honest with you i chelsea's so smoking hot right now and has been all their life i did way better i like i got really i i way married above my my uh my grade let's go back to y'all crying yeah how was that um honestly i i got i i don't think i got emotional from the cookies i got emotional from the situation and how she got emotional but i i think that sometimes could be an emotional thing i don't know if anybody else has had that happen to them i've heard of people that cry all the time which would freak me out after a while that would totally freak me out yeah uh what's up cheryl how you doing

01:33:18 - 01:33:34 | Speaker 4:

Hey, good morning, everybody. I just wanted to thank Kevin for ruining my entire day. So not only am I offended because my name is Cheryl, and now apparently I'm known as a prostitute, but I'm also an old prostitute with a fake name.

01:33:35 - 01:33:41 | Speaker 2:

You're a harlot. You're a madam. For some reason, that's who he thinks are prostitutes. And I don't think.

01:33:41 - 01:33:43 | Speaker 4:

So thank you, Kevin, for ruining my Monday.

01:33:43 - 01:33:52 | Speaker 3:

Hey, if I ever get a prostitute, she better be a Cheryl. or I'm sitting her back around. Do you have a price, Cheryl? Do you have a price? Yeah.

01:33:53 - 01:33:56 | Speaker 2:

Are you a high-priced prostitute or what are you?

01:33:56 - 01:33:58 | Speaker 4:

Yes, I am. I'm very high-priced.

01:33:58 - 01:34:01 | Speaker 2:

Good. Thank you for the call. I appreciate it. Take care of yourself.

01:34:01 - 01:34:02 | Speaker 1:

Like pretty woman. No kissing.

01:34:03 - 01:34:29 | Speaker 2:

Exactly. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Text is 95500. Another texter here says, can't go on the air with you because this would be too embarrassing to say, but my brother lost his virginity to a prostitute. That's kind of like not where I wanted to go with it, but that is interesting to think about, isn't it? I'm telling you, I would not tell people.

01:34:30 - 01:34:32 | Speaker 3:

What's the big deal? I wouldn't either.

01:34:32 - 01:34:34 | Speaker 2:

Because I don't think it makes you look good.

01:34:35 - 01:34:42 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I can see if you're like 35 and like, you know, it's late in the game and people just set you up. No, I respect that more because you don't want to die virgin.

01:34:42 - 01:34:52 | Speaker 2:

yeah hey what's up princess i could see that hi what's going on um i had a friend when she

01:34:52 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 4:

lost her virginity she woke up to a thousand dollars on her nightstand and she's never heard from the guy again oh okay

01:35:00 - 01:35:04 | Speaker 3:

I would be so offended until I bought myself a nice purse.

01:35:04 - 01:35:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. He was offended. Wait, why did they leave the $1,000?

01:35:10 - 01:35:19 | Speaker 3:

We don't know, but we told her, like, did he think you were a prostitute? Like, we asked her. She's like, I don't know. He won't respond to the text or anything or calls.

01:35:21 - 01:35:30 | Speaker 2:

Was her name Cheryl? Thank you. Thank you for the call. Appreciate it, Princess. Hey, Mojo in the morning, hello.

01:35:32 - 01:35:36 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Hi. I was calling about losing a virginity to a prostitute.

01:35:37 - 01:35:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, oh, okay. And you're not the prostitute and your name is not Cheryl, is it?

01:35:41 - 01:35:42 | Speaker 4:

No, no, no, no, no.

01:35:42 - 01:35:44 | Speaker 2:

Would you like to say your name or no?

01:35:46 - 01:35:47 | Speaker 4:

Sure, Lindsay.

01:35:47 - 01:35:48 | Speaker 2:

All right, Lindsay, what's going on?

01:35:50 - 01:36:10 | Speaker 4:

So my little brother graduated high school in 2006, and my parents, I don't know why, But they took him and a group of his friends to Amsterdam to celebrate that summer. And my brother's best friend was the only one in the group still a virgin. And they went to the red light district. And if you know what that is.

01:36:10 - 01:36:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, we know. Wait, did your parents take him to the red light district?

01:36:16 - 01:36:23 | Speaker 4:

No, they took him to Amsterdam. And like they got to stay on this little boathouse. And I know, but who took it?

01:36:23 - 01:36:38 | Speaker 2:

Oh, OK. Your parents just let them go do their own thing. Could you imagine, how would you like to be the dad of that, the kid or mom and know that our friend's parents took you to another country and then the parents said, yeah, we're going to help you lose your virginity, kid.

01:36:39 - 01:36:39 | Speaker 4:

They threw it out at you.

01:36:40 - 01:36:41 | Speaker 2:

By the way.

01:36:41 - 01:36:44 | Speaker 4:

They did a lot of stuff that their parents probably still don't know about.

01:36:45 - 01:36:50 | Speaker 2:

Here's the deal, though. If you're somebody that's going to lose it to a prostitute, that's the place to lose it to the prostitute, right?

01:36:51 - 01:36:52 | Speaker 3:

It's highly regulated, too, yeah.

01:36:53 - 01:36:56 | Speaker 2:

They're the A-class ones. Because they're the ones that get tested and all the rest of that stuff.

01:36:56 - 01:36:58 | Speaker 3:

Really? Yeah. Yep, yep.

01:36:58 - 01:36:59 | Speaker 2:

There's no Sheryls there.

01:37:00 - 01:37:01 | Speaker 3:

Not cheap either.

01:37:03 - 01:37:09 | Speaker 5:

Why aren't you getting a call back? Why didn't she call me back? We'll find out next with Mojo in the Morning's second date update.

01:37:09 - 01:37:11 | Unknown:

She was going to have my babies.

01:37:12 - 01:37:19 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning. Why is it that the women of the Mojo in the Morning show have so much trouble when it comes to self-tamping?

01:37:19 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 1:

All of us. It's hard. We need to just stop. We need to stop. The thing is, I go to get a spray tan if it's a big event. Like if we have, you know, a show event or photos or I'm going on vacation and I will shout them out. Soul Potion is the place I've gone to forever and ever. Hi, Michelle, you're the best. But when it's just another day at home and I am feeling a little pasty, I will take matters into my own hands and I am done. I have learned my lesson. no longer will I do this so Saturday I had the only thing I had all day was I had to be at Central I'd be at CMU for indoor states track for indoors oh my god states for indoor track Jesus it's a Monday Wes's kids both went to states yes yes they did it was great it was great so I like there wasn't a big event or anything but I woke up very earlier in the morning by the way I was up at 5 and I thought I'm looking a little pasty I I always feel better if I have a little bit of like a glow to myself. So somebody had recommended these self-tan face drops to mix in with my moisturizer. Megan, and I say this to you because I know you know how this works. I mixed one drop with my moisturizer of this tanner. Put it on. And I think it was just dark in my bathroom. I was half asleep. I don't know. I noticed in the car that my face was getting darker, like orange, orangey browner as the car ride to Central went on. And I kept checking because it felt funny. I also think my allergies were acting up. So it wasn't helping that my face was pretty swollen. When I got there and met up with Wes because he had stayed the night with Samantha and Kieran the night before, he looked at me really funny. and his eyes got really big and he goes are you having an allergic reaction what happened to your face i ran into the bathroom and you guys it looked like i was orange but then had dark brown liver spots all over my face like an old person where the tanner didn't blend in i mean i looked absolutely ridiculous and truly as the day goes on and it starts to develop it was getting worse and worse and worse so i i oh my god it was so i could tell people were looking at me funny because it was very clear something was wrong and there was nothing i can do and i don't approve of this mojo in the morning message so i couldn't exfoliate it off like there was no coming back from this no but at no point did you go i should go wash my face uh i

01:40:00 - 01:40:15 | Speaker 3:

tried and the water was the water in the paper towel in the bathroom was not doing much for me did it like bead up on you it just wasn't doing anything i mean and every time wes turned to me and looked at me he just started laughing which didn't make it better he's like an orange dalmatian

01:40:15 - 01:40:30 | Speaker 4:

yeah so jealous that you didn't come into the studio like this because i'm always looking a hot mess with my tan around you i am notorious for having the worst hands ever when it comes for fake tans oh my god it's a dead giveaway every single time and i'm so mad that i didn't

01:40:30 - 01:40:43 | Speaker 3:

see this west you can stop sending me gifts of the tan mom please like you guys it not only was i like orange but then where the moisturizer didn't blend in it was like the only thing that

01:40:43 - 01:40:52 | Speaker 1:

would have been worse and i i'm i'm sure there they did fantastic but if wes's kids won states and you've got to take pictures with him.

01:40:52 - 01:41:15 | Speaker 3:

Oh, he asked me to take a picture with his daughter in front of this step and repeat that I had. And I looked at him. I was like, that's funny. I am not standing in any photos today. Can you imagine? No, it was so bad. I got home. I took this exfoliator. I scrubbed my face until it almost bled. But what are the drops? It finally came off. Tan, Lux. Hang on. I want to tell you because I don't want to get it wrong.

01:41:16 - 01:41:18 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's what a listener just texted in and said, Lux Tan Drops.

01:41:18 - 01:41:24 | Speaker 3:

Tan, Lux, the face. Do not use these. They are no good.

01:41:26 - 01:41:30 | Speaker 1:

Wes is on the phone with us right now, Shannon's husband. Wes, how did Shannon look?

01:41:31 - 01:41:32 | Speaker 2:

She looked beautiful.

01:41:32 - 01:41:37 | Speaker 3:

No, that is the one. As he's laughing. It was so bad.

01:41:37 - 01:41:41 | Speaker 1:

I think only Kevin would be the only person that would be honest on that one that would say how bad it looked.

01:41:41 - 01:41:44 | Speaker 3:

No, he was honest. Trust me. He was honest.

01:41:44 - 01:41:54 | Speaker 2:

He was honest about it? Yeah. I was very honest because I couldn't look at her. It was like good light, bad light. We would walk outside and we'd get worse. We'd go inside. We'd go down a hallway. We'd get better.

01:41:54 - 01:41:59 | Speaker 3:

I was trying to have a serious conversation with him at lunch and he was like, I'm so sorry. I can't.

01:41:59 - 01:41:59 | Speaker 2:

Boom, balloon.

01:41:59 - 01:42:08 | Speaker 1:

I almost did that. I almost did that. What is the reasoning of why you wanted to be tan for this? Like, what were you?

01:42:08 - 01:42:16 | Speaker 3:

It wasn't for that. It was just some days you look in the mirror and go, oh, I could use some color. I could use some color. I could use a little bronzing.

01:42:17 - 01:42:20 | Speaker 1:

But you're just, you're going to be sitting in an arena watching.

01:42:21 - 01:42:28 | Speaker 3:

Like Wednesday, on a random Wednesday, I could come in here and be like, I'm just going to throw some self-canter on my face. There's no rhyme or reason. You just feel like you look pale.

01:42:29 - 01:42:31 | Speaker 1:

Wow. You know what, Shannon? Yeah.

01:42:31 - 01:42:34 | Speaker 2:

What? No one looked at my socks that day. That was weird.

01:42:34 - 01:43:06 | Speaker 1:

Ah, there you go. Hair. Yes. You're a jerk. You know what? You are the butt of her jokes. What were they called? On things that you either wear or do. And I think that this is a good opportunity to keep this lingering a little bit. Right. Let, uh, let it go. See about it in a week. We'll find out dad of the century to driving back and forth, uh, to central, man. That's a, that is a hike, hike and a half. Um, all right, but we'll talk to you, buddy. Take care of yourself. Hold on, Julia. Julia. We love you too. What's going on, Julia? Hi.

01:43:07 - 01:43:19 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Shannon. I have to find it cause I'm not at home, But I do have a spray that I use, just a couple spritzes, and it does help you don't wash it off. The blue and yellow bottle? Yes.

01:43:19 - 01:43:26 | Speaker 3:

San Tropez. Yes. So Soul Potion makes one. And I love theirs. I just didn't have any more.

01:43:26 - 01:43:41 | Speaker 5:

It's their water mist. Their tanning mist. My niece told my daughter that same thing with those drops. And she came down, and I'm like, what happened to your face? Oh, it was so bad. Yeah, I didn't like those drops at all.

01:43:41 - 01:43:45 | Speaker 1:

This is definitely not a paid advertisement for those drops. What's up, Tiffany? How you doing?

01:43:46 - 01:44:02 | Speaker 7:

Hi. I was just going to give Shannon a little tip. So I do self-tanner sometimes at home, and I've actually taught my friends how to do it. The best way, if you're putting on self-tanner, is to actually blow dry wherever you put it, and then it will stick perfectly. It won't get deeper for you, and it will give you the result you want to get.

01:44:02 - 01:44:05 | Speaker 1:

So you put a blow dryer? Are you trying to set her up for something big?

01:44:06 - 01:44:08 | Speaker 7:

No, I do it at home, and I've done my friends, yeah.

01:44:09 - 01:44:12 | Speaker 1:

Send us a picture. We want to see what you look like. Sadie, what's up? Hi.

01:44:13 - 01:44:48 | Speaker 6:

Hi. So, Shannon, I can totally relate to this. I was remodeling my bathroom, and I knew I wasn't going to have a shower for the weekend. And like an idiot, I decided to try a new self-tanner. Well, I didn't read the directions, and so I put it on, and I went to bed. And I woke up the next morning looking like a Cheeto. Like, I was so orange, and I had no shower. So the next morning, in a pure panic, I literally climbed in my kitchen sink like a toddler and bathed myself. It looked horrible.

01:44:48 - 01:44:50 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. That is so funny.

01:44:50 - 01:44:52 | Speaker 3:

How do we do this to ourselves? I don't know.

01:44:53 - 01:44:54 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Gina? Hi.

01:44:56 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 5:

Hey, so I haven't heard anything from Shannon.

01:45:00 - 01:45:08 | Speaker 4:

Like, calling out her friend who gave her this recommendation. Like, was her friend pissed at her and wanted to get back at her?

01:45:08 - 01:45:09 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:45:09 - 01:45:18 | Speaker 3:

Holy crap. I mean, like. They're very popular, so I think they work well if you use them right. I just did not.

01:45:18 - 01:45:20 | Speaker 1:

Our texts are all negative about it.

01:45:20 - 01:45:20 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

01:45:20 - 01:45:21 | Speaker 1:

Every single text is.

01:45:21 - 01:45:23 | Speaker 3:

So I was. Not good.

01:45:23 - 01:45:36 | Speaker 4:

So I was thinking everybody's moisturizer is different chemically. Yes. Yeah, yours could have had a different chemical reaction, but I'm still thinking your friend put you under the bus and ran you over.

01:45:36 - 01:45:45 | Speaker 3:

And also, I met so many listeners at Central on Saturday. I probably looked like I was cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs. She looks different on the radio. I am so sorry if I met you.

01:45:46 - 01:45:55 | Speaker 2:

I looked like a monster. Do you use a gel or a cream moisturizer? A cream. Okay, because I use a gel, and those drops never work in it because it just gets super streaky.

01:45:56 - 01:46:07 | Speaker 1:

I just love that. It's their first time meeting Shannon. They're like, wow, her pictures look a lot different. I was like, what's going on? It has to be a filter. Mojo in the Morning.

01:46:08 - 01:46:10 | Speaker 6:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

01:46:11 - 01:46:23 | Speaker 1:

If you are not getting a call back from somebody that you went out with, text DATE to 95500, and we will get you on our second date update. Jason did just that. Jason, so how did you guys meet?

01:46:23 - 01:46:30 | Speaker 6:

well we met on bumble um we went for drinks and then she just came up and like we hooked up after

01:46:30 - 01:47:02 | Speaker 1:

and i mean like it was really really good so you you guys when you say you hooked up meaning you guys uh went out or you hooked up like you guys you guys yeah so is so on the first date on the first time with each other yeah yeah you know it's usually the guy that doesn't call back after something like that what would right you know what i mean like i hate to say it but it's percentage of guys that don't call a girl after they hook up on a first date you know yeah no i get that

01:47:02 - 01:47:07 | Speaker 6:

i get that like yeah no i mean things went well and then they got awkward awkward afterward and

01:47:07 - 01:47:44 | Speaker 1:

i don't know why uh when you guys said goodbye to each other first off where'd you guys hook up your place or her place my place and when you said goodbye to her and you know said see you later or whatever do you guys give each other a hug kiss whatever yeah okay so you guys actually had a good goodbye and then she never has been heard from since you've tried to call her text her all that stuff yep all right we're gonna find out what's going on Emma's her name Emma's on with us Emma you're okay with being on with us this morning yeah I am say hello to Jason Emma

01:47:44 - 01:47:57 | Speaker 5:

hi hey hi jason hi how are you um i'm good i'm good you i'm good i just haven't heard from you

01:47:57 - 01:48:04 | Speaker 6:

in a while i mean i'm i'm good regardless but emma what's going on everything okay good

01:48:04 - 01:48:11 | Speaker 5:

um everything's good everything's okay i just i don't i don't know what jason told you so i feel

01:48:11 - 01:48:17 | Speaker 1:

Like, I don't. Were you listening on hold or could you hear on hold what we talked to him about or no?

01:48:18 - 01:48:20 | Speaker 5:

I heard I heard a little bit.

01:48:20 - 01:48:40 | Speaker 1:

OK, so so we heard we talked about how you guys met on Bumble and he did tell he did tell us you guys had a nice date and then you guys went back to his place and that he said that you guys did hook up with each other. And he said when you said goodbye, that you gave him a hug and a kiss and said goodbye. And that's the last he's talked to you. So that's pretty much what he said.

01:48:41 - 01:48:47 | Speaker 5:

Okay, so we didn't tell you that he kept calling me Anna when we were hooking up?

01:48:48 - 01:48:51 | Speaker 1:

He was calling you the wrong name. He was not calling you Emma.

01:48:51 - 01:48:55 | Speaker 3:

Was he aware of that? No. He was calling me Anna.

01:48:57 - 01:49:00 | Speaker 6:

No, I didn't realize I was calling you another name.

01:49:01 - 01:49:04 | Speaker 1:

So you had no idea the entire time. So you didn't correct him at all, Emma?

01:49:06 - 01:49:17 | Speaker 5:

No, I mean, I don't know who Anna is, you know? So I just, like, went along with it in the moment, and I didn't bring it up after because I just, I didn't want to make it weird. Like, we were already hooking up.

01:49:18 - 01:49:18 | Unknown:

I've been there before.

01:49:18 - 01:49:23 | Speaker 1:

Have you called the girl the wrong name? I was called the wrong name. You were called? Oh, really?

01:49:23 - 01:49:25 | Speaker 3:

Did you stop what you were doing, or did you just let it go?

01:49:25 - 01:49:33 | Speaker 1:

No, how would I do that? You called me when you were. Exactly. What was she calling you? I think it was her ex name. Really?

01:49:33 - 01:49:37 | Speaker 3:

And did you tell her after you were done? Nothing. That's none of my problem.

01:49:37 - 01:49:55 | Speaker 1:

as long as he doesn't pop out of the closet he could be she could be saying that to get him to come out of the closet I'm worried about coming anyway Jason yeah who is uh or is there an Anna was it or was it that you just didn't know her name and you missed it

01:49:55 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 6:

I didn't realize I fell under another name I mean Anna is like a girl that I

01:50:00 - 01:50:12 | Speaker 9:

talked to a while ago but like i wasn't thinking about her at that moment so so it's just i mean yeah it was a slip-up i didn't i didn't know that i was calling her the wrong name because i i will

01:50:12 - 01:50:48 | Speaker 2:

say this to you that if you are calling somebody the wrong name i've done that before not during sex but i've called people the wrong name all the time like heck i can't even get my kids names right i'm like joe jacob luke you know what i mean it is embarrassing when it happens and usually you try to correct yourself but you also are corrected usually by the person that does it it would it be bad if emma would have said by the way i'm not anna i am emma should she have corrected him while they were there yeah absolutely what do you guys think i wouldn't have even

01:50:48 - 01:50:59 | Speaker 5:

corrected to that extent but i i think i would have just been like emma yeah just said my name Oh, I see what you're saying You know what I mean, not even correct I've just been like, Emma

01:50:59 - 01:51:04 | Speaker 9:

I just said no I didn't know I was saying the wrong name

01:51:04 - 01:51:31 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 I'd love to know what you think of this but I'd also like to know if there are any listeners that have ever had sex with somebody for the first time and on the first time having sex that's ever been called the wrong name and what exactly do you do when that happens or what did you do? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I almost called her Anna.

01:51:31 - 01:51:33 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. Emma.

01:51:35 - 01:51:37 | Speaker 2:

Emma, Anna and Emma are similar.

01:51:37 - 01:51:37 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:51:38 - 01:51:41 | Speaker 2:

So it's not like it's not real similar. You don't think so?

01:51:41 - 01:51:58 | Speaker 7:

It's not that similar. Like, at the end of the day, I don't care if he even just, like, mispronounced Emma and said, like, Anna or something. It's just weird to me in my head that, like, he was sleeping with me but had another girl in mind. Do you know what I mean?

01:51:58 - 01:52:00 | Speaker 8:

Like, that's just what I don't like. I don't care.

01:52:00 - 01:52:09 | Speaker 7:

Anybody can have a slip-up. Anyone can have a slip-up with a name. It's more like he wasn't thinking about me when he was, like, in me.

01:52:09 - 01:52:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. All right, okay. Hold on. Sarah wants to comment on this. What's going on, Sarah? It's Mojo in the Morning. Hi.

01:52:17 - 01:52:36 | Speaker 8:

Hey, I just got an opinion about this. When you're on Bumble and you're first time meeting up with someone, you may have a lot of different names in your queue. And I got to give this guy some grace. He may be chatting with other people and not really remember her name. I don't know. My two cents.

01:52:36 - 01:52:40 | Speaker 2:

What about the fact that he's in bed with her naked and they're having sex at that moment?

01:52:41 - 01:52:54 | Speaker 8:

I don't know how much time you're using each other's names in their regular conversation face to face during the date. Yeah. I mean, what are you going to do? Go back to your Bumble chat and make sure that you have the right name?

01:52:54 - 01:53:01 | Speaker 2:

Has that ever happened to anybody when you're dating and you forget what name you're out with? Really? Has that happened to you, Sarah?

01:53:02 - 01:53:02 | Unknown:

Yes.

01:53:03 - 01:53:03 | Speaker 8:

Yes.

01:53:04 - 01:53:05 | Speaker 2:

Wow. That's...

01:53:05 - 01:53:22 | Speaker 8:

Even... No, no, no. I'm not necessarily saying in bed, but over a coffee chat or something. Oh, yeah. Like, shoot, this guy or this guy or... And I don't want to say his name because I'm going to screw it up and I don't want to pull up a chat because sure it's a laughter i don't know that's that's embarrassing what's up

01:53:22 - 01:53:42 | Speaker 3:

danielle what's going on hi good morning uh no i just want to say it's up to the individual to make the name uh correction whether in the moment or not it's up to that person yeah i agree with you not that yeah so emma should have said something yeah but you're in

01:53:42 - 01:53:57 | Speaker 5:

In the heat of the moment, you're enjoying yourself. She probably didn't want to interrupt you. But that's why I think just a simple correction of just saying your name. It's Emma. Might trigger, you don't have to say it, it's just Emma. Like when he's saying somebody else's name would maybe trigger him to go, oh yeah.

01:53:57 - 01:53:59 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Chelsea.

01:54:00 - 01:54:10 | Speaker 6:

Hi, good morning. I was just calling to say, I'm a little bit playful with my confrontation. So I'm always like, she can have you or that's one of your other girlfriends.

01:54:10 - 01:54:22 | Speaker 2:

that would actually would be funny wouldn't it would be like i'll be her for a night you know those would all be fun elizabeth what's up it's mojo in the morning hi

01:54:22 - 01:54:31 | Speaker 1:

okay so no disrespect but you did kind of just meet the guy like how many times has he already

01:54:31 - 01:54:42 | Speaker 4:

said your name if he's not confident he shouldn't be saying it that's something he doesn't say unless you have a hundred percent confidence. It probably wasn't.

01:54:42 - 01:54:47 | Speaker 1:

It's like a one-night stand. Like, he doesn't, I don't, I just, I don't know. I'm kind of giving him some grace, too.

01:54:47 - 01:54:52 | Speaker 5:

He probably wasn't premeditated, either. Well, he said he wasn't even aware he was doing it. Yeah, he probably just came up.

01:54:52 - 01:54:55 | Speaker 2:

Ronnie, you had this happen to you? Is that right?

01:54:57 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 3:

Well, in a sense, I did.

01:55:00 - 01:55:05 | Speaker 6:

I called the girl another name, but not mid-sex.

01:55:05 - 01:55:06 | Speaker 2:

When was it, Ronnie?

01:55:06 - 01:55:31 | Speaker 6:

What were you doing? Changing her oil. You know, just in conversation like these two were. But the thing to me is, if it meant that much to her that she wasn't going to call this guy back and go on another date with him, why didn't she just correct him at the time then if it was...

01:55:31 - 01:55:35 | Speaker 4:

Well, maybe she would have called him back for another date if he was respectful enough to learn her name.

01:55:36 - 01:55:41 | Speaker 2:

It's a mistake, though. Yeah, that's the least thing he could do with her name. You're on a dating site, you know?

01:55:42 - 01:55:50 | Speaker 3:

I mean... Being on a dating site doesn't mean you don't deserve respect for people to call you by the right name. Well, why didn't she stop the act? Yeah.

01:55:50 - 01:55:53 | Speaker 2:

Olivia, what happened to you?

01:55:55 - 01:56:09 | Speaker 1:

This was years ago when I was a teenager, but I was having sex with Jeff, and I called him Todd. I don't know. Maybe he thought I was saying, oh, God. I don't know. I didn't say anything, and he didn't say anything.

01:56:10 - 01:56:10 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

01:56:10 - 01:56:12 | Speaker 1:

We are not saying anything.

01:56:12 - 01:56:17 | Speaker 2:

It doesn't matter. You feel bad still to this day about that one. Poor guy, right?

01:56:17 - 01:56:18 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah.

01:56:19 - 01:56:25 | Speaker 2:

All right. Well, second date update. There's no chance of another date, Jason, between you and Anna here.

01:56:26 - 01:56:29 | Speaker 6:

I'm just going to call everybody Bob during sex.

01:56:29 - 01:56:35 | Speaker 2:

That would make it even weirder. And by the way, I thought Emma would catch me, but I said it. I know.

01:56:36 - 01:56:43 | Speaker 4:

No, I heard it. I heard it. But what do you want? Like, again, I just don't correct in the moment, so I don't know what you want me to do.

01:56:43 - 01:56:47 | Speaker 2:

No other dates? Emma, would you go on another date?

01:56:47 - 01:57:01 | Speaker 3:

situation now I would okay I like that it would have to be like I don't want to sleep we'll pay for the date

01:57:01 - 01:57:07 | Speaker 2:

yeah we'll pay for the date only if you guys wear the hello my name is

01:57:07 - 01:57:13 | Speaker 6:

oh my god oh my god I will wear that hold on

01:57:13 - 01:57:21 | Speaker 5:

with a dirty on the dirty throwback throwdown Second date update and War of the Roses. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:57:21 - 01:58:03 | Speaker 2:

All right, we're going to give you a shot at some tickets right now. We've got tickets for 3-1-3-Day. Get ready because the Pistons are going to be taking on the Washington Wizards on 3-1-3-Day, which is Thursday. You'll also get qualified for a signed Jalen Duren jersey. He will be on the show with us this Thursday morning, so make sure that you're listening. 3-1-3-Day, the Detroit Pistons have tickets available right now. celebrate the biggest day in detroit the day that we were named after right well not really named after but our area code was 313 day in the detroit pistons mojo in the mornings dirty on the 30 95th caller is going to win those pistons tickets uh good luck right now let's get a look at what's

01:58:03 - 01:59:00 | Speaker 7:

trending channon what's up so several media outlets i'm kind of seeing this a few different places are reporting the kind of massive failure of beyonce's vastly unsold cowboy carter tour the tour i think has only sold out three of the 30 shows although ticketmaster and stub hub are saying tickets for all shows on the tour are still available but 27 shows still have a lot of unsold tickets. The tour kicks off at the end of April. A music industry insider making a comment to one of these tabloids saying, sometimes you don't retire, the fans retire you. And everybody's trying to figure out, like, what is it? Is it they don't like the album? Are the tickets just too expensive? Because they are incredibly overpriced. Her ticket sales are especially slow in the UK, according to the London Times, which is kind of different for her. Normally,

01:59:00 - 01:59:26 | Speaker 2:

she does really well there so i don't know what's going on but she plays big venues uh but this time she's only playing a few cities like she's not doing every single city so when she was here at ford field there were tickets that were available like night of the show that were for some of the cheap seats and stuff like that or the not so cheap seats that people just couldn't afford the big expensive one i think this is a weird one when you're only doing regional shows like this That she's still got tickets available.

01:59:26 - 01:59:45 | Speaker 7:

Which means people need, well, yes, for sure. Megan had to run out of the studio, but I know she tried to get tickets to the show in Chicago. And she was like three rows from the top of the nosebleeds. And with all the fees and stuff, her ticket was still coming out to $800. Wow, that's crazy. That's a problem.

01:59:45 - 01:59:46 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:59:46 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 7:

Stephen A. Smith addressing Thursday night's very tense confrontation with LeBron James. Smith sitting courtside for the Lakers showdown. with the Knicks in L.A. And at one point, a visibly angry LeBron confronted.

02:00:00 - 02:00:08 | Speaker 5:

him and then walked away. That was LeBron James coming up to me unexpectedly I might add

02:00:08 - 02:01:22 | Speaker 1:

to confront me about making sure that I mind what I say about his son. Can't repeat the words because they ain't suited for FCC airwaves. That's what he was doing. I thought long and heart about this uh over the last few hours because i had no intentions molly of talking about this at all yeah and the reason why is because it was a one-on-one i wouldn't say a conversation but it was a one-on-one confrontation uh but then i wake up and everybody from espn and my agent and everybody else were sending me that this thing had gone viral and so ultimately it was unavoidable and that is why i have to discuss it now that wasn't a basketball player confronting me that was a parent that was a father and i can't sit here and be angry um or feel slighted by lebron james in any way in that regard uh by all accounts he's obviously a wonderful family man and a wonderful father who cares very very deeply about his son i actually

02:01:22 - 02:01:40 | Speaker 2:

respected that he came out to say that do you know what it was that stephen a said about lebron's son so this is actually the clip from i believe it was prior two days before or something like that where he was talking about brawny during his last game that he was playing and he said this

02:01:40 - 02:02:29 | Speaker 1:

i'm really really trying to be as respectful as i possibly can be towards lebron james i am pleading with lebron james as a father stop this stop this we all know that bronny james is in the nba because of his dad we love what we're seeing from him in the g league because that's where you belong as you hone your skills and you get better and you legitimately earn which i believe he has the potential to do i am rooting for brawny james it's a wonderful kid i wish him nothing but the best but he's lebron james son and everybody knows what attention that brings

02:02:29 - 02:02:58 | Speaker 2:

I hope that this doesn't make Stephen A. Smith soft on his commentary because the reason why he's the highest paid broadcaster right now, he is, he just signed a humongous deal, is because he's willing to call out stuff. And I hope that LeBron confronting him. I don't think what LeBron did was wrong. As a dad, if somebody goes and attacks my kid, I would hope that I would have the guts to go and attack and go after them. But I think they both have the right to do what they're doing. Absolutely. That's their jobs.

02:02:58 - 02:03:27 | Speaker 3:

In that clip, he said, as a father. And then he said LeBron James came to him not as a basketball player, but as a father. And when you speak, regardless of your position, there are consequences that come with you. Obviously, that is your profession. This is what you get paid to do, and that's okay. But understand that somebody may have something to say about that. And he did, and he handled it face-to-face. He didn't send his people. He didn't do it backstage. He didn't try to muscle him. Came over and had a quick conversation with him, and that was it.

02:03:27 - 02:03:46 | Speaker 2:

The bummer is that LeBron is injured now. He injured himself in that Celtics game over the weekend. And I thought what LeBron had going on here towards the end, and he's going to be out for a couple of weeks, was something special. I mean, there could have been something really interesting that was going to be happening, and I think it still could happen. There's still enough season left.

02:03:47 - 02:03:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:03:47 - 02:03:58 | Speaker 2:

But, I mean, I do think, you know, Bronny probably needs to be in the G League more. And I think if I were the Lakers, I wouldn't put that pressure on LeBron, you know, so.

02:03:59 - 02:04:16 | Speaker 5:

And Leslie, Anna Kendrick's response to a reporter who asked about her new movie with Blake Lively. There was the big premiere over the weekend for another simple favor. And this reporter asked her about everything going on. Anna Kendrick's response, epic.

02:04:16 - 02:04:28 | Speaker 6:

The other thing I want to ask you, how do you feel like the every how does it feel like the movie's being impacted kind of by everything happening around going on? the world why what happened i did ayahuasca and the last year of my life is just gone but i've

02:04:28 - 02:04:34 | Speaker 5:

heard the movies amazing genius response yeah she wasn't talking about she wasn't talking about

02:04:34 - 02:04:41 | Speaker 2:

bad about blake lively on that red carpet no way are her and blake lively not uh i don't think they

02:04:41 - 02:04:47 | Speaker 5:

are they are good based on everything i've heard they have not been good for quite some time well

02:04:47 - 02:05:11 | Speaker 4:

but right as this press tour was starting there was a clip that surfaced from their first press tour together. Yeah, they didn't like each other then. Anna Kendrick was being like, oh princess, is it so hard being you? Yeah. And it was, Anna put her Blake in her place, and I feel like they're just staying separate. Yeah, that's very obvious. That was beautiful. That was an excellent Dirty on the 30. All right. 3-1-3 days this week. Like, I'd love if the Pistons would bring some merch down here to us. They always have the best stuff. They're merch-y. I would love it. Why is it that I go into the – I went into the Pistons Red Wings store, and they got so much in there, it's almost near impossible to find it. I cannot find one thing that I feel like looks good on me, but the free ones that they send down to the station are like, Holy crap, I'm still wearing T-shirts that say D-Up and stuff like that from like five, ten years ago.

02:06:01 - 02:06:17 | Speaker 2:

If you want to kind of see some things that may not be in the team store, go to the Pistons Practice Facility. They have good stuff there? Where they have the plum market. That's like a low-key spot. Really? All right, I'm going. A few different things in there.

02:06:17 - 02:06:26 | Speaker 3:

I like it. Dylan, are you there, Dylan? Yes, I'm here. Dylan, you're going. Congratulations. We'll see you 313 day.

02:06:28 - 02:06:34 | Speaker 2:

I hope my girlfriend's not listening right now because she doesn't know about this right now, but she will be excited. Oh, I love it.

02:06:35 - 02:06:36 | Speaker 3:

At four.

02:06:38 - 02:06:39 | Speaker 1:

Thank you so much.

02:06:40 - 02:06:41 | Speaker 3:

What town are you from?

02:06:42 - 02:06:53 | Speaker 1:

I'm from Detroit, Michigan. From Detroit, Michigan. We're in the big old 313. It's Dylan. That's pretty good.

02:06:53 - 02:07:12 | Speaker 3:

Yum. Oh, look at that crowd go crazy. There's only one Mason, and then there's Kevin right afterwards. But Dylan, congratulations to you. 3-1-3 day to Detroit Pistons. You got a pair of tickets, and you're also in the running for a Jalen Duren jersey. Did you see that dunk he had this weekend?

02:07:12 - 02:07:14 | Speaker 2:

That boy is nice.

02:07:14 - 02:07:51 | Speaker 3:

By the way, how old is he? I think he's 20. They say he's 20, but he looks like he's 90. He's 21. He's got like a face of an old man, doesn't he? You ever notice that? He's a beast, bro. It's crazy. Like, he looks, I mean, I'm joking when I say old man. He looks like he's like a 40-year-old dude. You know what I mean? Plays like it, too. I bet you he never had to have a fake ID. You know what I mean? Although he's a professional athlete. He probably doesn't need it. So congratulations to you. Hang on the phone for just one second. All right, it is a mojo in the morning. The phone number is 313-298-9595 is our telephone number. Megan had something crazy happen to her.

02:07:51 - 02:08:06 | Speaker 4:

somebody tried to sell you coke um yeah this isn't the first time i mean i don't know how to brag but i'm pretty cool and i hang out at cool places where coke usually is don't mean to brag but

02:08:06 - 02:08:09 | Speaker 3:

do they think that you are a person that does coke or something like that that they're coming

02:08:09 - 02:08:28 | Speaker 4:

up and i don't even know how i give off vibes like if i give off any vibes please it's mushrooms at most okay at most not cocaine also what do you think i am rich look at me while i'm walking around i can't afford coke i'm more of a crack girl please is cocaine expensive because back

02:08:28 - 02:08:39 | Speaker 3:

in the day they always used to talk about how it's the rich person's drug but i feel like nowadays cocaine is no like everybody's uh selling like bad cocaine or something for rich kids it's

02:08:39 - 02:09:27 | Speaker 4:

just rich kids are getting bad cocaine that's still expensive uh as whitney says crack is whack She was rich. She does cocaine. So I was out and I had this guy come up to me and approach me with a petition and asked me to sign for it for his band and ask for a monetary donation. Wait, where were you? I was outside of the throne war. And I laughed because usually the kids who ask for that kind of thing are in high school, right? And we all know it's still a scam. They're just trying to get money. But at least it's for their high school marching band to go to states or get new uniforms or whatever. And I'm like, sir, you look like you are 34 years old. I know. You are not in a high school marching band. You have a full mustache. Like, kids that are in high school, they still have the peachy stragglers. Like, you have real facial hair, sir. Like, please.

02:09:27 - 02:09:32 | Speaker 3:

Did you say to them, say, excuse me, I don't do cocaine, but do you have those Snickers bars? No, no.

02:09:32 - 02:09:57 | Speaker 4:

Cocaine has another thing. Oh, yes, sir. If you were to listen, we're still at the petition for the band. So I say, you know, I don't have any cash on me. Sorry, because, like, I'm not getting scammed by you. No, thanks. And he rips the petition out of my hand, and he goes, fine, you want some cocaine? And I said, are you serious, sir? I just said I don't have cash. And he rolled his eyes at me and said, well, I would have taken Cash App and walked away.

02:09:57 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 3:

Wait a second. the drug

02:10:00 - 02:10:10 | Speaker 4:

dealers sell via cash app? Yes, they do. You gotta keep up with the times, bro. Come on. Who has cash? I thought that they don't want it to be you know. Yeah, but

02:10:10 - 02:10:16 | Speaker 3:

you just put in the notes like, pizza, thanks. By the way, I've never

02:10:16 - 02:10:21 | Speaker 4:

bought products with cash. I saw that nose emoji on Venmo.

02:10:22 - 02:10:38 | Speaker 3:

The last time somebody asked me if I wanted to buy cocaine, actually the only time I was with one of my girlfriends and I was so offended I'm like, what about me screams? Oh, I love those pickles. I really was so offended by it.

02:10:38 - 02:10:39 | Speaker 4:

I've never been asked to do cocaine.

02:10:40 - 02:10:41 | Speaker 3:

To buy?

02:10:41 - 02:10:45 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I've never not. I've seen people do it, but that ain't my life.

02:10:45 - 02:10:47 | Speaker 3:

I've never even seen somebody do it.

02:10:47 - 02:10:54 | Speaker 4:

I think that's... Really? Never. First off, that is wild in itself to think that the guy is out asking for a petition.

02:10:54 - 02:10:55 | Speaker 2:

Pretending to be a high school kid.

02:10:55 - 02:11:49 | Speaker 4:

And doing a petition signing. Which, by the way... Clever. If you are a politician, you want to get some people to register to vote. Start giving out cocaine to people. Now you're talking. It's like, hold on a second. Keep your hat. Who's running for, we got 8,000 people running for the mayor of Detroit. There you go. We'll give out some cocaine. Cocaine to me in itself is like something that you see just on like movies on TV or something, you know? Cocaine popping out here. Is that like the big deal now? They used to say a lot of the bankers used to do it. Very scary. I can't confirm where they're not. Luke said, and this is another one, too, if you have a kid that's going to spring break or you're a kid going to spring break, Luke said that when he was in Punta Cana, there were literally the people that worked at the hotels were offering kids cocaine all the time. And to me, that is where there's that fentanyl stuff, too, because they're saying fentanyl is killing people.

02:11:49 - 02:11:56 | Speaker 3:

A couple of days ago, it was like the biggest fentanyl bust ever in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I saw that.

02:11:56 - 02:11:59 | Speaker 4:

It's like, was it 200 pounds or not 200 pounds? More than that.

02:11:59 - 02:12:10 | Speaker 3:

It was something crazy. They said upwards of, I don't even know what this is, 999 grams. I don't know. I don't know what this means.

02:12:10 - 02:12:11 | Speaker 4:

But it's a lot of money worth, right?

02:12:13 - 02:12:19 | Speaker 3:

Oh, God, yeah. The guy is facing 30 years in prison. I'm trying to remember the story.

02:12:19 - 02:12:22 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but I feel like if you carry around two joints, you're facing 30 years in prison.

02:12:23 - 02:12:26 | Speaker 4:

Do they know that the guy has been hanging out in Detroit trying to get people?

02:12:26 - 02:12:42 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, okay, so they said a lethal dose of fentanyl can be as small as two milligrams. This guy had five, at least 500, upwards of 999. Wait, that's a big difference. I know, the capacity to kill 250,000 people. Damn. Is what this guy had.

02:12:43 - 02:12:46 | Speaker 4:

Wow. This is Grand Rapids? Yes. Melissa, what's up?

02:12:46 - 02:12:47 | Speaker 3:

Sorry, my hat keeps hitting the microphone.

02:12:48 - 02:13:28 | Speaker 1:

A few years ago, I was in San Francisco with my mother, who was in her 80s, and my sister who's in her 50s and I'm in my 40s and we were just walking around looking at all the you know fun stores in San Francisco and we walked into this kind of crazy store with a bunch of tie dye and at the end of the thing the guy asked us hey so uh you're just out partying yeah I'm with my mom whatever would you like to buy some acid and my sister and I my sister being very you know straight laced was like uh no I think we're good we're just gonna stick with the pot gummies i'm like nobody says that and she's like well i didn't know what to say

02:13:28 - 02:13:43 | Speaker 4:

explain that to me explain how some random nice ladies like you sound like a nice lady melissa and your 80 year old mom are getting offered acid by these people we were in that part of

02:13:43 - 02:14:02 | Speaker 1:

san francisco that was you know they probably did a little crazy and we were in a store that It was obviously, you know, a little more psychedelic, but yeah, we just, my sister was like, I didn't know what to say. Like, what, what do you say to somebody that's working there and, and they were working in the store and they just thought maybe we'd want some drugs.

02:14:03 - 02:14:10 | Speaker 3:

Like I've got gushers and slime in my purse. Okay. What about me? Screams. I need acid. Well, maybe it's that.

02:14:12 - 02:14:38 | Speaker 4:

My favorite thing with cocaine is when people call it booger sugar. Yeah. I got some booger sugar. Have you ever seen anybody do cocaine? I worked with a guy that did cocaine. That would freak me out. And it was honestly not a great situation. And he would always offer it to me. And I have a problem. I will try most things and then become addicted to it. So I knew that that was something I did not want to become addicted to.

02:14:38 - 02:14:47 | Speaker 2:

Well, that. And once you're around people who use cocaine, you realize I've never enjoyed being around anybody who's ever been on cocaine. They're all the most annoying people on the planet.

02:14:48 - 02:14:54 | Speaker 4:

When he did it, he would get the natural buzz. Like, it was kind of like people that do Adderall and stuff like that, too.

02:14:54 - 02:14:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

02:14:54 - 02:14:55 | Speaker 4:

Which, by the way—

02:14:55 - 02:14:56 | Speaker 3:

I've also never taken an Adderall.

02:14:57 - 02:15:05 | Speaker 4:

Nowadays, too, if with Adderall, if it ain't— that comes from cvs or or you know walgreens you do not take it because i'm telling you we know

02:15:05 - 02:15:11 | Speaker 1:

somebody yeah very close to us who lost their kid time lost their kid what's up ashley hi

02:15:11 - 02:15:35 | Speaker 3:

hey good morning guys hey um i was at the bar once and someone asked me if i ski and i was just like oh you know i tried it once i might be down to do it again and then he whipped out a bag of coke oh my god what and then i was like oh no no like i meant like the sport i meant real skiing and he had meant like you know two white lines oh my god oh we're not i would not have actually i'm so not

02:15:35 - 02:15:40 | Speaker 4:

cool i would have fallen for that one too i'd be like no i'm afraid of screwing my knees up

02:15:40 - 02:15:44 | Speaker 1:

and it was also july so there's no snow to be found around here to go skate right

02:15:44 - 02:15:57 | Speaker 4:

what if you had to say it now i'm a snowboarder yeah i don't know ben what's up morning how you doing good what's going on you know what you sounded like when you just did the

02:15:57 - 02:16:37 | Speaker 2:

morning your morning there it was like uh morning best time of day to go yourself that's what i thought you were what's going on oh i just thought i'd make a comment oh i'm glad the company we install a whole house generator you know nice generac get your power going with no power Anyways, after installing a gas sign for a homeowner, we were talking, and he asked me, he was like, you look like a party guy. You want the party drugs? I was like, excuse me? He's like, yeah, I got some Coke. I got Molly. He's like, I got weed. Whatever you want, I can give it to you. I was like, I'll take the weed, sir. I'm good. Thank you.

02:16:37 - 02:16:47 | Speaker 4:

Now I feel weird that all I offer them are like snags and water. when they come to my house. You're dropping the ball. Where was this at again? No one is popping.

02:16:48 - 02:16:50 | Speaker 2:

All downriver, Michigan. Downriver.

02:16:50 - 02:16:56 | Speaker 4:

The Generac guy is getting himself a buzz. Unreal. Well, thank you for the call. I appreciate it.

02:16:57 - 02:16:58 | Speaker 2:

No problem. Have a good rest of your day.

02:16:58 - 02:17:22 | Speaker 4:

I told you the story one time about the guy that came to my house, and he actually said, hey, do you want something to eat or drink? And he's like, yeah, no problem. He sat down and ate a full plate of dinner with us. Remember that? That was recent. Yeah. That was like, man, a guy ate my food. Add Mojo in the morning to your presets on our free iHeartRadio app. And never miss War of the Roses. The second date update.

02:17:22 - 02:17:23 | Speaker 2:

Am I the a-hole?

02:17:23 - 02:18:48 | Speaker 4:

Or the throwback throwdown? WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning live. Well, Joe in the morning. I had fun on Friday with a post-show field trip. We went and got a tour from our friends from Ford Motor Company of the Michigan Central Station. It's the beautiful, revitalized, former train station that hasn't been running since like the 1980s. And now is the home of some of Ford Motor Company's most innovative groups of people that are working for them. And building cars and creating businesses and doing all kinds of stuff. But it was a lot of fun. Actually, it's interesting. I've driven by this place a bajillion times on my way to go get some great Mexican food right there in southeastern Michigan and Detroit, southeastern Detroit. And I drive by it all the time going, wow, that building's wild. And then I remember back in the day when Spike took pictures of the place and he had some of the most beautiful photos of this gorgeous place. And to be inside of it and see how they refurbished it.

02:18:48 - 02:19:11 | Speaker 1:

I was I did not expect it to be as amazing as it. it is absolutely incredible and shout out to Marissa who was the one that kind of walked us around and gave us our tour she was phenomenal too but not only do we tour Michigan Central we tour there's a building in front of Michigan Central called New Lab and it's all of these like automotive related startups and VCs and just the coolest stuff is happening right there like right here in Detroit

02:19:11 - 02:19:16 | Speaker 4:

but in that building right there yeah Google like all the Google people I kept

02:19:16 - 02:19:48 | Speaker 1:

saying google google is that it was fun i kind of got a little jealous at one point because when we were touring the floor that the ford motor company offices were on they had this whole area this is where i nerd out so bad they had a whole area of office supplies that you could just like take yeah needed them and they were all rainbow color coordinated and They were in cute little baskets, and everything was fresh and new. I wanted to steal something so bad, but I didn't.

02:19:48 - 02:19:54 | Speaker 4:

Do we even have office supplies here anymore? I don't think so. I think we're in that back closet back there. Are you serious? I think so.

02:19:54 - 02:19:56 | Speaker 3:

But we're not allowed to touch the staplers.

02:19:56 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 4:

It's staplers? No staplers. These are like baskets.

02:20:00 - 02:20:04 | Speaker 3:

We can't touch the staplers. How many staplers are there in the staplers?

02:20:05 - 02:20:13 | Speaker 1:

Well, staples. There are staple boxes locked up in there. But I have two staplers that I keep hidden. So no one can use them or take from us.

02:20:13 - 02:20:18 | Speaker 2:

I was taking pictures of stuff, and I actually took a photo of these little office supply nooks because...

02:20:18 - 02:20:53 | Speaker 3:

It was funny because, like, Shannon got really, like, literally, I'm not getting a little idea. they had in their innovation area they had like drones that were the size of people's homes that were there that are going to be like the drones that are going to move patients on you know hospital campuses and stuff like that and bring medicines to people and like you know probably use these things you know for ways to save people's lives shannon got excited over the sticky notes like she was excited over because we don't have anything here it was really what i'm

02:20:53 - 02:20:59 | Speaker 2:

saying is their their offices are absolutely gorgeous beautiful but it was but they have

02:20:59 - 02:21:10 | Speaker 3:

it was like walking into a staples i mean that but that's bill ford man he built you know uh bill runs a nice business man he keeps things that's why those guys were the guys they've you know

02:21:10 - 02:21:52 | Speaker 2:

they're they're making great cars and truly if you want to spend some time in detroit go take a tour of Michigan Central because the oh my every detail that they were able to restore exactly how it was back in the day when that thing was operating and also the stories they have this room of all of these different artifacts and Marissa was telling us the story of how mr. Ford basically made a call out to say hey if you you know were urban exploring one day and you happen to grab something and take it home or it's just been passed down over the years in your family return it no questions asked we want it back it's going to help us with the restoration and the stuff that they got back they put in this room and it is it it is so cool and it helped them

02:21:52 - 02:22:26 | Speaker 3:

figure out what the ceiling looked like in the place so they could restore it to make it look like the original ceiling and actually i want to not to correct you but i want to correct you marissa was saying that majority of the people didn't do the returning by them asking for it they just knew that they were redoing the place and they felt guilty about taking it. And so people just randomly were like, you know what, we're not doing anything with this thing, even though I could probably sell it for scraps and make a ton of money. So they would just leave it on corners of streets and say at such and such time, this is going to be there.

02:22:26 - 02:22:27 | Speaker 4:

Wow.

02:22:27 - 02:22:29 | Speaker 3:

No questions asked, you know, go pick it up.

02:22:29 - 02:22:48 | Speaker 4:

I remember the first Transformers when they shot a bit of it down here. And they utilized the old train station because it looked like it had exploded anyway. So they utilized that site for some of those major scenes. And to notice something so historic has been now redesigned and refined and restored.

02:22:48 - 02:23:00 | Speaker 3:

Jack White, back in the day, used to throw raves in that building and have big parties. And then he, along with Eminem and Trick Trick, and who was it from the old Motown artist?

02:23:01 - 02:23:01 | Speaker 4:

Diana Ross was there.

02:23:02 - 02:24:23 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and Jelly Roll, remember, was part of that whole thing? They performed at that big concert. It's such a good show. Ford's got some stuff going on. I like it. You know, it's, I mean, obviously, you know, we know they've done a great job of rebuilding that football team that we love. But it's nice to see what's going on in downtown Detroit, you know, again, you know, for a while there, a lot of people were just giving Dan Gilbert props. And, of course, they should for what he's done. But to see the Ford family is involved in this and then the Illich is. I saw a tick tock over the weekend and it totally make made me forget I forgot this thing but it brought it up to me do you remember when a news story came out about Rosa Parks getting mugged out in front of her apartment and do you remember that after Mike Illich died that it was brought out in in you know news stories that after that story happened Mike illage reached out to rosa parks and put her in a really nice apartment paid for all of her bills and never told anybody about it didn't press release it didn't tell anybody about it did it all secretively and after you know uh mr illage passed and uh and he died that was

02:24:23 - 02:24:31 | Speaker 4:

something that some people brought up you know we are the hockey town yes um but it's cool

02:24:31 - 02:24:32 | Speaker 3:

Detroiters and Detroiters get some cool stuff.

02:24:32 - 02:24:38 | Speaker 2:

Oh, and we have to shout out, what was her name at Yellow Light Donuts inside of Michigan? Zero.

02:24:39 - 02:24:41 | Speaker 3:

No, it wasn't. No, what was it?

02:24:41 - 02:24:54 | Speaker 2:

Was it Rosa? It was Rosa. Rosa. Yes. I don't know how that name just popped into my head. Yellow Light Coffee and Donuts. Anybody can go in there. You don't have to be working in the building. Holy cow. Get the birthday cake donut. Huge listener of the show. Oh, my God.

02:24:54 - 02:25:00 | Speaker 3:

Actually, I got to be honest. It was kind of cool. We got noticed by a bunch of people because of their list.

02:25:00 - 02:25:25 | Speaker 2:

listeners of the show, and it was perfect in front of Marissa from Ford because, you know, potentially we hope that Ford does the more advertising with us like they used to in the old days. And, you know, it's like, oh, my God. And I thought to myself, you know what? Maybe they should hire Shannon and myself and Kevin and Megan and Lydia and we should all be like, you know, would you like to go on a tour? Hold on. I could be the guy that talks to you in your headset.

02:25:26 - 02:25:29 | Speaker 1:

You know what I mean? Whatever you want.

02:25:29 - 02:25:29 | Speaker 2:

We'll do the tours.

02:25:30 - 02:25:31 | Speaker 1:

Oh, the guided tour? The guided tour.

02:25:32 - 02:25:43 | Speaker 2:

Seriously. That'd be a good job. That was fun. That was a fun time. It really was. I also had, I've been so scared to bring this up all morning. What? I don't know if I should do it, but I'm going to do it.

02:25:43 - 02:25:43 | Speaker 3:

What?

02:25:44 - 02:25:45 | Speaker 2:

You know who else I saw over the weekend?

02:25:45 - 02:25:46 | Speaker 3:

Who?

02:25:46 - 02:25:50 | Speaker 2:

I saw our landlord, Christos, and his entire family.

02:25:50 - 02:25:52 | Speaker 1:

Oh, why are you scared to bring that up?

02:25:52 - 02:26:06 | Speaker 2:

Because his spectacularly gorgeous wife, Elena, was there and she had a little talk with me about the fact that we keep talking about these bathrooms here in our new building.

02:26:06 - 02:26:10 | Speaker 3:

Oh, she LeBron's you. She did.

02:26:11 - 02:26:12 | Speaker 1:

You were Stephen A. Smith.

02:26:13 - 02:26:14 | Speaker 2:

She pulled up on you.

02:26:14 - 02:26:15 | Speaker 1:

She pulled me aside.

02:26:15 - 02:26:18 | Speaker 2:

And she pulled me aside and gave me the what for.

02:26:20 - 02:26:20 | Speaker 1:

The what?

02:26:20 - 02:26:28 | Speaker 2:

My mom used to always say, I'll give you the what for, like, if you ever, you know, screw up in the house, you know what I mean? Like, you got to, like, go have a talk with mom.

02:26:28 - 02:26:29 | Speaker 3:

What does what for come from? I don't know.

02:26:29 - 02:26:36 | Speaker 2:

My mom used to say it. It was a Midwestern thing or something like that. Don't question my mom. She's dead. She died of cancer. She's a very sad story.

02:26:37 - 02:26:42 | Speaker 3:

Wes does the same thing to me. What are you, Justin Bieber? You got me. You got me there.

02:26:42 - 02:26:43 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Justin, my mom's dead.

02:26:44 - 02:26:48 | Speaker 1:

Be nice to me. My mom is dead. Please stop saying that to me. Wow.

02:26:48 - 02:27:09 | Speaker 2:

So, so, um, so yeah, so she, she, she came up to me, we were standing there and she was like, you know how hard my husband and our, you know, family work and stuff. And I'm like, Oh my God, I feel bad. But the bathroom wasn't working. And she's like, if I hear about your bathroom one more time. And, and so.

02:27:09 - 02:27:13 | Speaker 1:

Actually, I feel like that was more me than you. So I really should be the one to apologize.

02:27:13 - 02:28:03 | Speaker 2:

And then I saw, then I saw Christos right afterwards. He was parking the car and then I saw him and I go, I go. I got in trouble. Your wife, like, is mad at me. He goes, you know what it reminded me of? And I kind of was seriously like, Chelsea is like that. If you say something bad about me or the boys, you do not call Chelsea's children, and I'm one of her children, ugly. And she will stand up. And I'm kind of, like, into it. Like, as a guy, and I'm asking this to our listeners, Do you have a wife that will stick up for you on things? And do you like that? Or at times, does it make you a little, I don't know, uncomfortable that your wife might say something? Like, would you want that? Would you want to be married to a woman that does that?

02:28:03 - 02:28:05 | Speaker 3:

Mama bears. Like a mama bear.

02:28:05 - 02:28:08 | Speaker 2:

Chelsea hates to be called mama bear. Do you not ever call her mama bear?

02:28:08 - 02:28:25 | Speaker 3:

I'm telling you, the lion, I don't know if you call them lionesses, but in the pride, they go out and hunt. They the killers. They the ones that really show up and protect the family. And it's like that in real life. But do you want them getting involved in your work stuff? I mean, she the boss, though. She ain't tripping. She's the CEO.

02:28:25 - 02:29:22 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, if you're not the boss, then you got to shut up. Megan, at first I used to, like, not like it when Chelsea would do it. Now I actually like it. I like that she's like, it kind of turns me on a little bit. Like, I want her. And I think what I got from Elena was when she was talking about the bathroom thing is that they get secondhand people. And by the way, if you're one of these people that's friends with them and you call them up and say, Mojo is talking about the bathroom again, and don't tell her the whole full story yeah i will kick your mother effing ass because i don't want her after she talked to me on saturday to like all of a sudden go yo and of course he goes back in there day number one what i'm talking about is the fact that i get it we say a lot of stuff on this radio show and there's a lot of times we say stuff with no consequences of realizing that there are people that are going oh so mojo can't take a crap in the toilet and my own my And by the way, did you know that he put a heater in our bathroom for me? Did you know that?

02:29:22 - 02:29:24 | Speaker 1:

I love that they did that in the boys' bathroom.

02:29:24 - 02:29:29 | Speaker 2:

Did they not put it in the girls? Well, I guess you should speak up.

02:29:30 - 02:29:31 | Speaker 3:

No, don't be quiet, no.

02:29:31 - 02:29:33 | Speaker 2:

I had Chelsea call and get it for me.

02:29:34 - 02:29:34 | Speaker 3:

I'm just kidding.

02:29:36 - 02:29:45 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. I don't know. I feel bad sometimes with the stuff that we say on the air and then how it gets back to people. Women do speak up, though.

02:29:45 - 02:30:05 | Speaker 3:

I done been out to eat sometimes. and they'll bring you the wrong salad or whatever, you just be chilling like, no, that's okay. And the girl will be like, no, no, no, no. We're getting what we ordered. No, no, no, excuse me. Yeah, they be on that. Have you dated any girls like that? See, I'll stand up for a second. Wes in that situation if it has to do with his work right I don't you don't do it right how about

02:30:05 - 02:30:39 | Speaker 4:

but how about if what if if Wes has if Wes gets you know passed over for something no and you're upset you're not going to say anything no what if somebody comes work no what if somebody comes up to you and says says to uh or you hear that or what if you hear somebody talking crap about Wes will you go up to them and say something because if Chelsea heard somebody saying something and i'm sure elena's like this too with uh you know christos is white if she heard somebody saying something about her man she will go up and she will say excuse me what are you saying uh honestly

02:30:39 - 02:30:53 | Speaker 3:

because i hate confrontation it depends on my mood and who the people are yeah it depends if i'm in a spicy feisty mood yeah honestly watch out but if i'm in like if i i don't know sometimes

02:30:53 - 02:31:18 | Speaker 4:

i'm just not i can't all right here's my here's my question and i want to know and i want to talk to these type of women. You can call 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. If you're in a club or a bar and your man has a guy come up and start picking a fight with him and you know you've got long nails that could gouge that guy's eyes out, would you jump on top of him and gouge his eyes out for your man?

02:31:18 - 02:31:20 | Speaker 3:

No, because I don't want to be on the news.

02:31:20 - 02:31:22 | Speaker 4:

Oh, what a mistake you're making.

02:31:22 - 02:31:26 | Speaker 3:

But if a girl came up and did something, I would jump up and gouge her eyes out.

02:31:26 - 02:31:27 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so how about this?

02:31:28 - 02:31:32 | Speaker 3:

I will cut a bitch. How about if you, I really, I always say that to him too.

02:31:32 - 02:31:34 | Speaker 4:

How about if a girl, how about if a girl's.

02:31:34 - 02:31:35 | Speaker 3:

I'm very protective in that way.

02:31:35 - 02:31:36 | Speaker 4:

If a girl's flirting with him.

02:31:36 - 02:31:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:31:37 - 02:31:37 | Speaker 4:

You will?

02:31:38 - 02:31:41 | Speaker 3:

I would make a very passive aggressive comment.

02:31:42 - 02:31:42 | Speaker 4:

Like.

02:31:42 - 02:31:45 | Speaker 3:

In some sort of way, I would, I would, yeah.

02:31:45 - 02:31:46 | Speaker 4:

What would you, what would you, like.

02:31:47 - 02:31:51 | Speaker 3:

But I don't know about a, if it was a guy, I don't know. What am I going to do?

02:31:52 - 02:31:52 | Speaker 1:

That bitch was a hoe.

02:31:53 - 02:32:01 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I want to see, I want to see this. If you're out and about, and I know a lot of people will see Shannon and Wes walking around town.

02:32:01 - 02:32:02 | Speaker 3:

No, please do not play.

02:32:02 - 02:32:08 | Speaker 4:

If you're out and about, I want you to walk up to Wes and I want you to flirt with him in front of Shannon just to see if she does this.

02:32:08 - 02:32:12 | Speaker 3:

Because depending on my mood, I don't know how I will respond lately.

02:32:13 - 02:32:16 | Speaker 4:

I want to see it. Bitches be crazy. Especially if she got this.

02:32:16 - 02:32:21 | Speaker 3:

My hormones are unregulated at the moment. So it just depends on the day for me.

02:32:21 - 02:32:30 | Speaker 4:

I want to know. I want to see what you do. I want to see what kind of action. And we all have learned this, that Megan would not stick up for anybody. You would stick up for your brother, though, right? If your brother...

02:32:30 - 02:32:38 | Speaker 2:

That's not true at all. I would not get involved in work stuff. I feel like it would only cause problems and issues, and you don't mess with people's money.

02:32:38 - 02:32:42 | Speaker 3:

If somebody was out, if you guys were out at a bar, though, and somebody was messing with him, you would step in.

02:32:43 - 02:32:43 | Speaker 2:

Oh, absolutely.

02:32:43 - 02:32:49 | Speaker 4:

What if your dad's boss did something to your dad and screwed over your dad? You wouldn't, if you saw him out in public, give him dirty looks?

02:32:49 - 02:32:50 | Speaker 2:

What am I... What is that going to help?

02:32:50 - 02:32:53 | Speaker 4:

Dirty looks. What is that going to do? You wouldn't...

02:32:53 - 02:32:55 | Speaker 2:

He's only going to put him in a worse situation at work. It's not going to help.

02:32:56 - 02:33:09 | Speaker 4:

Here's my hypothetical. Hypothetically, if you were working at a place, like you're working somewhere, and your dad's boss who screwed him over for a promotion was in, and you could spit in his food with no consequences.

02:33:10 - 02:33:15 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah, but that's not what you're asking. You're asking if I would confront that person and start issues.

02:33:15 - 02:33:18 | Speaker 4:

You would spit in the food. I would absolutely spit in the food. Oh, okay. So as long as there's something like that.

02:33:18 - 02:33:21 | Speaker 2:

No, for sure. What's up, Cindy? But I don't think it'll lead to anything helpful.

02:33:21 - 02:33:42 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Cindy. Hey, Sandy. Sandy. I lost you. Where did you go? Where did you go? He says you're up there, but you're no longer there. I'm sorry, Sandy. I've got to move on to the next one. Lydia, you want to do some Irish on Ionias?

02:33:42 - 02:33:44 | Speaker 1:

We can do some VIP tickets.

02:33:44 - 02:33:49 | Speaker 4:

VIP tickets for Irish on Ionias. Lydia, why do I picture your mom is like this?

02:33:49 - 02:33:52 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Lydia's mom. Oh, she wants all the smoke.

02:33:52 - 02:34:03 | Speaker 4:

does your mom does if george has somebody that does something wrong does your mom ever jump on and uh say something like if family members do him wrong or anything like that

02:34:03 - 02:34:08 | Speaker 3:

like is she the one that will call up oh yeah for sure if i needed backup i would call lydia's mom

02:34:08 - 02:34:14 | Speaker 1:

for anything truly that's one person you never want to cross is my mom does your dad because

02:34:14 - 02:34:39 | Speaker 4:

one thing i've realized chaldean women are like my wife is italian like italian women chaldean women and italian women are the greatest to be married to guys because they will stick up for uh for their men you just got to be careful that they don't do to go too far because then you might actually lose some friendships out of it what's up emberly hi hi how are you guys good

02:34:39 - 02:34:54 | Speaker 1:

what's going on good um so i just wanted to say that anybody can catch these hands when it comes to my man i don't care if it's a man i don't care if it's a woman i don't care if you're transitioning i don't care about anything like anybody can touch these hands you don't put up

02:34:54 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 4:

with crap do you if they're messing with your guy no honestly i'm a firm believer

02:35:00 - 02:35:13 | Speaker 1:

And, like, if there's an altercation with a man, I shouldn't have to protect myself. But my daddy raised me to be able to protect myself. Yeah. And if that has to extend to my man, too, like, I get stiletto nails for a reason.

02:35:14 - 02:35:21 | Speaker 2:

Hey, quick question for you on that. Would you stick up for him with his own family or would that put you in a weird spot?

02:35:22 - 02:35:27 | Speaker 1:

No, I would stick up for him in front of my own family, let alone his.

02:35:27 - 02:35:28 | Speaker 2:

Sure. Okay.

02:35:28 - 02:35:30 | Speaker 1:

Like, if it was warranted, of course.

02:35:31 - 02:35:36 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I actually, I think that that's, you know, your guy's a lucky guy. What's his name?

02:35:38 - 02:35:38 | Speaker 1:

Spencer.

02:35:39 - 02:36:31 | Speaker 2:

Spencer, you're a lucky guy. You got yourself a good one there. You got yourself the best. Thanks for the call. Appreciate it, Emberly. Hold on. Brittany, are you there, Brittany? How you doing? I'm good. How are you? Good. Brittany, are you the type that sticks up for your man? Oh, for sure. Really? Would you full-on fight for your guy? Like, would you actually get into a fist fight for him? I absolutely would. You sound like that. Like, it sounds to me like you're the type that would... What are you doing on Saturday? You want to come with us to Irish and Ionia? I would love to go to Irish and Ionia for Woody Gray. All right. Will you bring your man with you? I will, and then nobody can mess with him. What if he's wearing a shirt that says, pinch me, I'm Irish, and a girl comes up and pinches him? You're not going to, like, all of a sudden get in trouble.

02:36:34 - 02:36:40 | Speaker 3:

No, we're going to keep that to wraps, but, yes, I will protect it.

02:36:41 - 02:36:48 | Speaker 2:

All right, you behave yourself at Irish on Ionia. No fights. I don't want to hear of any fights. You're going crazy over some people, okay?

02:36:49 - 02:36:50 | Speaker 3:

All right, thank you.

02:36:50 - 02:37:06 | Speaker 2:

All right, hold on. VIP tickets, get your tickets, irishoffionia.com. You can get tickets for Irish off Ionia. That's now what it's called. It used to be called Ionia, but what's going on? Mojo in the morning. Hello. Hi.

02:37:07 - 02:37:18 | Speaker 4:

Hey, this is Matt. I got a funny story about X. Well, it's actually my ex-wife sticking up for somebody and for me and my brother. And so I just want to see if I can.

02:37:18 - 02:37:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, absolutely. Hold on a second. So, Matt, your ex-wife. So, wait, why did you make her your ex-wife then? What happened?

02:37:26 - 02:37:28 | Speaker 4:

Well, is this Mojo, by the way? It is.

02:37:28 - 02:37:28 | Speaker 2:

Hi. How are you?

02:37:29 - 02:37:41 | Speaker 4:

Okay. I'm good. How are you? In fact, it's about my brother, who you know through the club. My brother's a member out there at Orchard with you. Okay. But anyway, I'm not in the air right now, am I?

02:37:41 - 02:37:43 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, we're talking on the air. Go ahead.

02:37:44 - 02:38:31 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I'm laughing. Oh, yeah, sweet. Okay, cool. Well, anyway, so we're at a Kid Rock concert, embarrassingly enough. And this guy in front of me is like, dude, that guy's pissing on my leg. And on the hill, my leg just got wet. I said, he would never do that. And I'm sticking up for this guy. And it was like, like I said, 10, 15 years ago. And these guys started to squabble. And I'm defending my brother because I know he would never do that. Because his wife wouldn't want to go to the bathroom because he'd get sidetracked. So then my ex-wife gets in a squabble with these guys. And she's defending us until the end. And she ends up punching some lady and ripping the sunglasses off her face. And there's a big old squabble on the hill. And I'm like, I can't believe this has happened. I mean, like, I'm defending my brother, and she's defending me and my brother. And on the way out of there, my brother sneaks clean that he took a leak on the leg, and it splashed up.

02:38:31 - 02:38:32 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God.

02:38:33 - 02:38:40 | Speaker 2:

So the whole time you just thought that was something your brother would never do, and your brother was the guy that peed on.

02:38:40 - 02:38:41 | Speaker 3:

He would never do it.

02:38:41 - 02:38:48 | Speaker 2:

By the way, what's up with guys on the lawn at concerts at Pine Knob peeing just randomly?

02:38:49 - 02:39:01 | Speaker 4:

I mean, I think when you get into a Kid Rock concert, you kind of feel more dirtbag, maybe. I'm not sure, but I couldn't believe he did it anyway. So he's his wife again and again.

02:39:01 - 02:39:13 | Speaker 2:

Hey, here's a real quick question for you on this one here, because these guys do this stuff all the time. They go to these concerts and things like that. But do you miss that your wife is no longer in your life and able to stick up for you, or are you happy that's fine?

02:39:13 - 02:39:24 | Speaker 4:

No, no, no. No, no, no. She makes a great co-parent, and I'm happy to be a part. But, yeah, I mean, we still get along as friends. I'm friends with her husband. That's nice to say. That's good.

02:39:25 - 02:39:31 | Speaker 2:

And the good thing is that she'll always be there for you if you need help at a Pine Knob concert. What's up, Devin? Hi.

02:39:32 - 02:39:33 | Speaker 3:

Hey, how you doing, Mojo?

02:39:34 - 02:39:35 | Speaker 2:

I'm doing good. What's going on?

02:39:36 - 02:39:55 | Speaker 3:

Hey, man. Yeah, I was just kind of late into this topic here. I just kind of overheard some people say something about, you know, these females throwing ants for their man. Yeah. I just want to say that's sexy as hell, and that's, like, that's super attractive to me. You know, I'll take any girl who will throw ants for me, you know. So let's, you know, let's connect with one of them, you know.

02:39:56 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 2:

You know where you find them? Sterling Heights. They're all in Sterling Heights.

02:40:00 - 02:40:04 | Speaker 3:

Well, you know what? I'm approaching Sterling Heights right now. I'm trucking right now over here on 75.

02:40:04 - 02:40:07 | Speaker 2:

What are you driving? We'll tell them to stop you and wave to you.

02:40:08 - 02:40:11 | Speaker 3:

A unit 273, a black truck, a box truck.

02:40:12 - 02:40:15 | Speaker 2:

All right. Ladies, if you're looking for somebody, there you go.

02:40:15 - 02:40:27 | Speaker 3:

The smell of spring, fresh vegetation, the smell of fresh air, and the smell of all that dog food that piled up over the winter. Oh, man. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:40:30 - 02:40:52 | Speaker 2:

02:41:00 - 02:41:14 | Speaker 1:

Well, this University of Pittsburgh student who disappeared while walking on the beach in the Dominican Republic for spring break is believed to have drowned. And I believe we have a news story about her.

02:41:14 - 02:42:38 | Speaker 4:

Tonight, the desperate search for a college student on spring break missing in the Dominican Republic. A helicopter flying above the water of Punta Cana searching for Sudik Shah Kunanki, seen here on this missing poster. search and rescue teams starting today before sunrise dive teams joining the search. Dominican officials say the 20-year-old University of Pittsburgh student was lasting on surveillance camera Thursday just before five in the morning. It's not clear if she was alone or with other people. Konanki is an Indian citizen living in Virginia outside Washington, D.C. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office in Virginia says she was traveling with five other women, all students at Pitt, including her best friend from high school. Investigators say the women are believed to have been staying at the same hotel in Punta Cana, the Hotel Rio Republica, according to the Dominican Foreign Ministry. All six women were scheduled to return on Friday. The five friends are still in the Dominican Republic. A major question for investigators, who was last with her? The U.S. State Department has issued a travel advisory for the Dominican Republic, level two out of four asking Americans to use increased caution saying violent crime including armed robbery homicide and sexual assault is a concern and Lindsay we're just getting late word from investigators in the Dominican Republic we're being told they believe she may have drowned or being told that she was on the beach with a group of people some of them left she stayed and went

02:42:38 - 02:42:52 | Speaker 1:

swimming with somebody they are still searching yeah so she she was there with five friends four of them went back to their hotel leaving her and and one other um man just could you imagine

02:42:52 - 02:43:21 | Speaker 2:

i couldn't and my son was just there and i told you all week i was had anxiety about him being there i uh i think that if you're gonna spring break you spring break in our country and i'm gonna say this if god forbid something like that happen we have use of the u.s coast guard the u.s coast guard could be on alert doing it you don't have the craziness of these hotel workers that potentially are trying to take advantage of these uh you know college and high school kids that are

02:43:21 - 02:43:30 | Speaker 1:

spring breaking there and which doesn't seem like it's the situation or the case here but that we've heard that happening we don't know in time again and you're right i mean they're just presuming

02:43:30 - 02:44:13 | Speaker 2:

she drowned at this point but and the people that are friends of hers those girls that are friends of hers do not if they meet boys or they meet you know girls and do not let your friends wander off and do not go swimming in even the water the ocean i wouldn't swim in that ocean i'm going to tell you something that we went to punta cana years and years ago they they said that some of the the riptides were some of the worst riptides that are right off of that water i'd be in a swim you get in stay in your swimming pool you hang out during the day you go to dinner at night you eat you know restaurant you go out and party or whatever like luke said he did a booze cruise and these kids are on these booze cruises with a bunch of college kids from all over the place the workers on the on the thing are walking around offering you yeah you know drugs and

02:44:13 - 02:45:00 | Speaker 1:

things like that it's crazy no way so scary uh god two back to back sad stories but i do have an update on the death of actor gene hackman and his wife betsy they died of natural causes a week apart i mean this is just a crazy story so the state medical examiner's office said betsy died first probably around february 11th of a rare viral infection it's called hantavirus pulmonary syndrome it's spread through an infection by rodents okay gene they say probably died around february 18th so a full week later which is when the last activity on his pacemaker was recorded their bodies found in separate rooms in their private home in santa fe the chief medical investigator also noted that gene hackman may have not even been aware that his wife had passed away because

02:45:00 - 02:45:33 | Speaker 2:

he showed evidence of advanced Alzheimer's disease. Kanye West, some people not happy with him. Again, yesterday morning, he posted a photo of, well, it definitely looked to me like a KKK robe, captioned, Outfit of the Day. Hours later, he posted a screen grab of a text exchange that he had with his former choir master, Jason White, announcing the return of his Sunday service sessions. That's happening on march 16th this coming sunday he tries to out shock everything all the time doesn't

02:45:33 - 02:45:59 | Speaker 3:

he and does these things at some point i'm surprised that the social media accounts don't just take his stuff down for the things he does yeah i don't think you can though you can't you did they took it they did it during the elections the instagram they took down the outfit of the day that shannon's talking about but like disband his account i don't know if you can do that they're all privately owned they did they did it to trump when he was running for office because they didn't I thought that was Elon's whole thing.

02:45:59 - 02:46:02 | Speaker 1:

But Elon bought Twitter to give it back to him.

02:46:03 - 02:46:12 | Speaker 3:

But what about Facebook and Instagram? He doesn't own those. They did all that stuff. I just think that Kanye's just unraveled. Crazy. It's not good.

02:46:13 - 02:46:30 | Speaker 2:

And I teased this during the 5 at 6.55. It is true. It's not just a rumor. Prince, or no, King, sorry, Charles. King Charles is now a DJ over on Apple Music. He released his own personal playlist on Apple Music to mark Commonwealth Day, which is today.

02:46:31 - 02:46:46 | Speaker 1:

Throughout my life, music has meant a great deal to me. It has that remarkable ability to bring happy memories, comfort us in times of sadness. That's fake, isn't it? And to take us to distant places.

02:46:46 - 02:46:50 | Speaker 3:

Is that John Lithgow? Doesn't it? It sounds like fake.

02:46:50 - 02:46:57 | Speaker 2:

On his playlist, in case you are curious, Bob Marley, Grace Jones, and he's a Kylie Minogue fan as well.

02:46:58 - 02:47:01 | Speaker 3:

Kylie Minogue? Yeah. Who is this list again?

02:47:02 - 02:47:08 | Speaker 2:

Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue. No, I went away from my page. I don't know who the other person was.

02:47:09 - 02:47:10 | Speaker 3:

Huh. Interesting.

02:47:10 - 02:47:11 | Speaker 2:

Also, sure.

02:47:11 - 02:47:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Megan Thee Stallion was on there, too.

02:47:14 - 02:47:19 | Speaker 2:

For all of today's dirty, search Mojo in the Morning in the free iHeartRadio app.

02:47:20 - 02:47:28 | Speaker 3:

What would you do if Prince Charles, if they did, like, videos of him dancing, like, in his underwear? Doing TikTok dances. I think, honestly, it would probably.

02:47:28 - 02:47:31 | Speaker 2:

Like Hugh Grant, I didn't love, actually. But it would probably.

02:47:31 - 02:47:43 | Speaker 3:

It would get bajillions of views, don't you think? That guy, if he wants to redo his image. Sure. Yeah. There you go.

02:47:44 - 02:47:45 | Speaker 1:

Still Team Diana.

02:47:46 - 02:47:48 | Speaker 3:

Oh, we always are Team Diana.

02:47:48 - 02:47:56 | Speaker 1:

I wish him nothing but the worst. Celebrity Dirt, directly from the source, is Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:48:07 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning. All right, giving away some prizes this week to all the big concerts that are coming to town, including Jelly Roll Post Malone, Tate McRae that you just heard just a little bit ago, plus that Disney trip too. We're giving you a chance to win a Disney trip. Listen weekday mornings at 730 for that shot. So if you're somebody that listens later, try to wake up with us earlier. And if you're somebody listening to us on the iHeartRadio app podcast, try to wake up and listen live for a chance to win. And, you know, I always tell everybody this listening on the app is awesome but with the app you do have a little bit of a delay no offense to the app the app is fantastic you can bring us anywhere and everywhere and that's why i always like to do 95th caller as our chance to win but if you listen on the radio you don't get as delayed on the radio so listen on the good old-fashioned radio 104.5 snx if you're in grand rapids muskegon 92.5 if you're in toledo or anywhere there in ohio in channel 955 if you're in the detroit area detroit or any of the surrounding suburbs so check out the uh the radio i was actually this weekend listening to the the station uh our detroit station because i was obviously living in i live in detroit and i was listening on the radio and i'm like oh this actually sounds really good because I listen on the app so often and sometimes on the app when I'm listening to it on the app I uh I don't know what it is in my car but my apple car play sometimes will pause for me where the radio good old-fashioned radio plays don't have any issues on it so and it was it's not as delayed seamless experience I was just in the bathroom and believe it or not going to the bathroom a couple minutes ago I was listening to our seven o'clock hour because there was so much of it till I was like.

02:50:00 - 02:50:18 | Speaker 6:

Holy crap, I can't believe how big that delay is. So the delay on top of the delay. All right, it is Mojo in the Morning, phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE. Kevin, do you want the ladies to give you advice on this? Is that who you're wanting to? How to shake the hand, how to greet, how to do the greeting?

02:50:19 - 02:50:52 | Speaker 5:

I would love some type of advice because I don't feel like I know what to do. I don't know if I was taught this or I just assumed this, but I felt like when you're greeting a woman, And you're not supposed to shake their hand in an aggressive manner. And I don't know if there's like a Goldilocks thing where it's like, okay, this is not hot enough. This is too hot or this is just right. I'm not able to find that just right type of thing. So I ended up just kind of like giving them like a limp handshake. It's not even like a firm. I just feel like I'm not going to say women are delicate flowers, but I just don't think that I should go up to them and just shake their hand.

02:50:52 - 02:50:57 | Speaker 6:

So you saw their reaction. So if a guy softens his handshake for you.

02:50:57 - 02:50:58 | Speaker 4:

I think less of you.

02:50:58 - 02:50:58 | Speaker 6:

Really?

02:50:59 - 02:51:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I actually agree with that. I am a very firm, I give a very firm handshake. And many times somebody will comment on how firm my handshake is. And I don't know where, I don't know if my dad taught me that or why I do that. But so if you gave me a limp handshake back, I think I'd be like, what?

02:51:17 - 02:51:18 | Speaker 6:

Do you think he's a limp?

02:51:18 - 02:51:18 | Speaker 3:

I question it.

02:51:19 - 02:51:22 | Speaker 6:

If he gives you a limp handshake, do you think he's a limp dick?

02:51:22 - 02:51:37 | Speaker 3:

No, I don't think about that. I honestly don't think he respects me. because he's not treating me as an equal interesting i actually hate handshakes i and i know that i am very much in the minority and you have to be careful nowadays but i'm a hugger

02:51:37 - 02:51:51 | Speaker 5:

i'd rather you just give me a hug i would not respecting you as an interesting take because it's not that i don't respect you it's that i respect you enough to like obviously identify that you are a woman it's not like i think you're not capable of doing whatever job

02:51:51 - 02:52:01 | Speaker 4:

you're gonna crack my precious fingers if you shake my hand you heard or how hard are you squeezing a man's hand that I will just crumble well it's not that it's just like I don't open

02:52:01 - 02:52:10 | Speaker 5:

doors for men but open doors for women it's not that I think less of you you won't open a door for a guy I mean not no like open your own door like you know what I mean like that's that's the

02:52:10 - 02:52:17 | Speaker 3:

mentality let me shake it like how would you shake my hand I wouldn't even shake it like that

02:52:17 - 02:52:23 | Speaker 5:

that's fine you should I would be like this no I hate that I hate that gripping the fingers

02:52:23 - 02:52:26 | Speaker 4:

and not giving you a handshake. I hate that.

02:52:26 - 02:52:39 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'm not about to, like, shake you. Like, I was taught give a guy a firm handshake. So I'm, like, I'm not trying to, like, muscle the man when I do it, but I give him more of a firm handshake. I just feel like if I do that to you, it's like, why am I doing that to you?

02:52:39 - 02:52:45 | Speaker 3:

See, if it's anything but that, honestly, I walk away feeling really weird. Yeah. Or people who still do the dang fist bump.

02:52:46 - 02:52:48 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'm not the fist bump.

02:52:48 - 02:52:50 | Speaker 3:

I hate the fist bump. Really?

02:52:50 - 02:52:52 | Speaker 4:

What's worse, the finger grab or the fist bump?

02:52:52 - 02:52:55 | Speaker 3:

They're on the same level. Wait, what's the finger drop?

02:52:55 - 02:53:03 | Speaker 4:

He just did it. Where you don't handshake, you just grip her finger so she doesn't hold her hands vertically. Oh, I hate that.

02:53:03 - 02:53:18 | Speaker 6:

Some women love it, though. What about a slap on the ass? Like if a girl, if you guys walked in and instead of giving a handshake, you went, like, you know, you do that to your boys sometimes? Give an ass slap. Well, you just said hug, so I think that could get you in.

02:53:18 - 02:53:19 | Speaker 3:

Hug is different from ass slap.

02:53:20 - 02:53:24 | Speaker 6:

You got to be careful. You got to be careful, though. You can get HR calling you. What's going on, Debbie?

02:53:27 - 02:53:46 | Speaker 1:

Kevin, whenever you give a handshake, you give it like you own it, man or woman. Men, you give a little bit firmer women, but you still go in there with a firm handshake. That is your first impression. You throw a little weak handshake, you are a weak man. No way. Firm always.

02:53:46 - 02:53:49 | Speaker 6:

I kind of agree with you on that. I feel like people give you a weird look.

02:53:49 - 02:53:55 | Speaker 1:

Own it. Own it. Don't come in there with a little finger. Oh, my goodness.

02:53:55 - 02:54:04 | Speaker 5:

I hear you. If I get judged on the type of man that I am based on how I shake a woman's hand, then I guess it wasn't a good interaction, period.

02:54:06 - 02:54:15 | Speaker 1:

Nope, you will. You're first, and you're going to go, she's going to feel secure with you. She's going to be like, oh, yeah, he knows what he's doing. He knows. Yeah. All right.

02:54:15 - 02:54:23 | Speaker 6:

So, Debbie, when you see Kevin, you open up your mouth and say, I'm Debbie, firm handshake lady. Sarah, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

02:54:25 - 02:54:28 | Speaker 2:

Who is still shaking hands after COVID? We don't do that anymore.

02:54:28 - 02:54:30 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. You're a fist bumper, aren't you?

02:54:32 - 02:54:33 | Speaker 6:

What do you do?

02:54:33 - 02:54:44 | Speaker 2:

I have a medical kid, and a doctor will not touch you. They will not touch you. They don't want to touch you. They will not get within feet of you. There's so much stuff out there. Don't shake hands.

02:54:45 - 02:54:53 | Speaker 6:

We need to do what they do in some cultures where they bow. I want to bow at each other. It's so much more effective.

02:54:53 - 02:55:00 | Speaker 3:

See, you know what's so funny? In the wake of COVID, I feel like I am even more, like, I crave that hug. I crave that hand.

02:55:00 - 02:55:04 | Speaker 2:

handshake I crave I'm not waving and you know what it's good for your immune system what's going on

02:55:04 - 02:55:25 | Speaker 3:

Natalie hi yeah hi I think this is so ironic because last night my son went in for a hug and he gave me the most lame hug and I said hey there's two things you got to do in life when you go in strong for a nice hug people always remember a good hugger and two you always give somebody a strong handshake and we literally practice how to give a strong handshake Natalie

02:55:25 - 02:55:29 | Speaker 2:

I hate when my kids give me the shoulder hug. They give me like the.

02:55:29 - 02:55:35 | Speaker 3:

And then they pat your back a little bit. And I'm like, that's not how you hug your mom. Give me a hug.

02:55:35 - 02:55:42 | Speaker 2:

The best hugger in my family is Joe. He gives great hug. And Luke gives the worst. Yes.

02:55:42 - 02:55:51 | Speaker 3:

You remember a good hugger. And you're like, man, that person hugs good. And I told her last night, we just had this conversation. I said, good hug, good strong handshake.

02:55:51 - 02:55:53 | Speaker 1:

That's like Angel here in the office.

02:55:53 - 02:56:05 | Speaker 6:

I think where I'm coming from is so many times you hear about men being like well I'm not comfortable in case anything happens or she says anything so just shake my hand it's the most

02:56:05 - 02:56:50 | Speaker 4:

respectful thing to do I like it Kayla what's up hi um so I don't know if it comes from like my dad he's he's older he's 70 but the first thing he ever taught me is when you shake someone's hand you shake it firm and you shake it hard and and now even me I'm in my 30s and like I shake it doesn't matter you know woman man i take i give a firm handshake and if someone gives me a weak handshake back i'm gonna look at them like they're a weak individual and they're or they're insecure and they're you know confused and when it comes to jobs when it comes to like family it doesn't matter like you shake someone's hand and you do it firm your dad did you right your dad's a smart man kayla go ahead if someone takes my hand yeah if someone takes my hand and they they do a week i'm gonna think they're insecure or you know i don't care if it's a man either like you shake my hand like you would another man, you know?

02:56:51 - 02:56:55 | Speaker 2:

Kayla, say it loud. Say, my name is Kayla, and I like it firm and hard.

02:56:56 - 02:56:59 | Speaker 4:

Yes, my name is Kayla, and I like it firm and hard.

02:57:00 - 02:57:02 | Speaker 2:

Where are you from, by the way? Have a good day, guys. What town are you from?

02:57:04 - 02:57:04 | Speaker 4:

I'm from

02:57:04 - 02:57:11 | Speaker 2:

Lapeer County. Oh, okay. All right. See, that's how they do it in Lapeer County. What's up? Darian, hi.

02:57:12 - 02:57:14 | Speaker 7:

Hey, what's up, Mo? What's going on, guys?

02:57:14 - 02:57:19 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. Kevin gives a limp handshake. We just learned, Darian.

02:57:19 - 02:57:42 | Speaker 7:

yeah limp handshake weird i hate weird handshakes or or when it's ever it's awkward or somebody goes in for something you didn't plan on like they go for a fist bump and you go for a handshake and then you're just thinking about it all day yeah because it's all awkward and then you're like man what was i actually supposed to do and is he thinking about it or is she thinking about

02:57:42 - 02:57:52 | Speaker 2:

it also what do you hey what do the ladies of the show think if darian walks up to you and grabs your hand and kisses it like they do in some cultures, like some English people do.

02:57:53 - 02:57:53 | Speaker 6:

Oh, no.

02:57:53 - 02:57:55 | Speaker 2:

Would you like that? Would you like a hand kiss?

02:57:55 - 02:58:14 | Speaker 6:

No. Hell no. No? I don't know. No, no, no, no, no, guys. You're lying. Really? No, I don't. It's different. You're telling me a stranger walks up to you and grabs your hand and kisses your hands. You lie. At our next rooftop party, I need somebody to come up and do this to Shannon so we can get a genuine reaction.

02:58:14 - 02:58:26 | Speaker 5:

Can we please mark the occasion here and remember the moment of when the guy put out his hand to fist bump Megan and she thought it was a pretend microphone and started talking into it.

02:58:26 - 02:58:29 | Unknown:

I forgot about that. I forgot about that.

02:58:29 - 02:58:31 | Speaker 5:

That was the best awkward handshake ever.

02:58:32 - 02:58:41 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. WQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:58:41 - 02:58:43 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

02:58:43 - 02:58:44 | Speaker 1:

Live.

02:58:51 - 02:59:50 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning Show. One of my friends got called into their human resources office for something that he had in his little work area. And you guys tell me if you think that this company did him wrong, okay? I'm not going to say the name of the company. And I'm not going to say the name of the friend either because some people, if they hear it, will know who I'm talking about. But in his work area, he had a little Jesus statue. And he had the statue there that was there. And by the way, I have to let you guys know, it's not like a normal religious Jesus statue. It's a little statue. Here, I'll send it to you guys so you guys all have it. It kind of looks like, I don't know how you describe it. How would you describe this Jesus statue? It's like a...

02:59:50 - 02:59:55 | Speaker 5:

Oh, it's like a happy, like cartoony Jesus. Like somebody made it out of clay. Yeah.

02:59:55 - 02:59:57 | Speaker 2:

Oh, it's a kid Jesus.

02:59:57 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it's a kid. It looks like, yes, it looks like the Jesus.

03:00:00 - 03:01:07 | Speaker 3:

kids like bible and it says jesus loves you wait that's cute and human resources came to him and said hey we got a complaint about the jesus uh statue and they said you have to take the jesus statue down so he was like really not allowed to do that he was like really upset because he went into his company handbook and realized in his company handbook it says that there's protection of you know religious rights and they then claimed that the statue made somebody feel uncomfortable so you had to get rid of it so he then said well wait a second i thought that we had protection of religious rights and they said well we do but you know we also don't want you guys to put stuff up in your work area your workspace so he kind of took it then to a next level and he said well i'm uncomfortable with people putting their cats and dog pictures and family pictures up so now the human resources people had to go to everybody and tell everybody they had to take everything down wow because he's like he was fighting for his jesus he's gonna be

03:01:07 - 03:01:12 | Speaker 1:

like like all family photos had to come down take them all down they had to take them all down

03:01:12 - 03:01:56 | Speaker 3:

why are you so close to his desk they looking at little jesus well i don't know i'll be honest with you i think it comes to a point where it's like i and i don't know what it's like to be a person who is uncomfortable with a Jesus. Jesus. Like I don't know what it's like. I'm not, you know, Jesus to me. Honestly, the only thing that would make me do is probably make the sign of a cross or something like that. But then I get to a point where it's like we're getting so nitpicky on everything. But then if the person put a picture of like Hitler up there, I would be like, oh Jesus Christ, what's going on? I mean, literally, like, you know what I mean?

03:01:56 - 03:01:58 | Speaker 1:

Well, because that's not somebody's religion.

03:01:59 - 03:02:00 | Speaker 3:

Well, right.

03:02:00 - 03:02:02 | Speaker 1:

That's very different to me.

03:02:02 - 03:02:45 | Speaker 3:

But if the person's not religious, that could be just as offensive to them, I guess. I don't know. I just feel like maybe we're just all just so sensitive nowadays. I don't know. I wanted to see what your guys' thoughts were. In your company, are you allowed to put things up or not put things up? I still think that our company, iHeart, has that rule about how they don't want the studios to have stuff on the walls or they don't want people to put stuff in their cubicle. I don't think it has anything to do with keeping things clean. I think it has anything to do with this. They want to protect themselves from a situation like this. That's very interesting. Does that not make you think now? You heard about this friend of mine? No, I feel you.

03:02:45 - 03:03:01 | Speaker 4:

I mean, if somebody, see, this is crazy. Because you're right. If somebody had, like, a KKK hood, just, you know what I'm saying, in a cubicle, I would fill away. Yes. But, Tony, for that to me, it may be. All right, get him. Grab him.

03:03:03 - 03:03:03 | Speaker 3:

Tony.

03:03:04 - 03:03:05 | Speaker 4:

Does my hat bother you? Real quick.

03:03:05 - 03:03:13 | Speaker 3:

No, I love your hat. But it would bother probably the person that works in my friend's office. It says, God is good all the time. They probably would tell you that.

03:03:13 - 03:03:14 | Speaker 4:

Don't join us.

03:03:16 - 03:03:17 | Speaker 2:

I'm not getting in that conversation.

03:03:18 - 03:03:25 | Speaker 3:

Tony, in all your years that you have been a manager, and you've been a manager for many, many years, right? Since how old were you when you became a manager for the first time?

03:03:26 - 03:03:33 | Speaker 2:

I was 22, something like that. Really? Yeah. And what station was that at? WBNQ in Bloomington, Illinois. Bloomington, Illinois.

03:03:34 - 03:03:35 | Speaker 3:

WBNQ. The heart of Illinois, baby.

03:03:36 - 03:03:37 | Speaker 2:

Corn country.

03:03:37 - 03:03:39 | Speaker 3:

So, question, in all the years that you've been a manager.

03:03:40 - 03:03:41 | Speaker 2:

I didn't say porn country. I said corn country.

03:03:41 - 03:03:42 | Speaker 3:

You do what you do at BNQ.

03:03:43 - 03:03:43 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

03:03:43 - 03:03:51 | Speaker 3:

I don't know what that stands for. Have you ever had a person complain about something that somebody had up in their cubicle or workspace or in a studio? Do you ever have anybody complain about something about that?

03:03:51 - 03:03:54 | Speaker 2:

No, hopefully today is not the first day. Are you complaining about that? No, no.

03:03:54 - 03:04:03 | Speaker 3:

Okay. No, I was talking about, I told you a story about the friend of mine that has the Jesus statue. Like, what would you, what would the company do? They would probably.

03:04:04 - 03:04:13 | Speaker 2:

Boy, I don't know. I have never, never had anything like that happen. The little, how big is the statue? It looks like it's a little teeny one. Okay. Yeah.

03:04:13 - 03:04:15 | Speaker 1:

Like four or five inches high, not even.

03:04:15 - 03:04:26 | Speaker 3:

Do you think people, were people offended by that? Some people in the office were offended by him having this up. And so they, the company asked him to take it down. Hannah, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

03:04:26 - 03:04:57 | Speaker 1:

Hi, good morning, guys. Okay, so I just, I wanted to put some perspective onto this. And obviously HR is there to treat everyone fairly. Just imagine if his deskmate or someone next to him had a picture of Satan hanging up at their desk. something tells me he'd probably go to HR and report that team member for that display of religious belief so you kind of have to think of it from both sides and when it comes to family though and the family pictures it's not like I'm looking at your family and their faces are

03:04:57 - 03:05:00 | Speaker 3:

offending me. Hannah what if what if you're somebody that

03:05:00 - 03:05:12 | Speaker 1:

cannot have children and you see children all day and staring you in your face that's that's a good point and i mean i but here but here it is is it a good is it a good point or are we getting are we

03:05:12 - 03:05:22 | Speaker 2:

blowing things out of proportion i think i think that's taking it a step too far i mean i but is it because that person is also leaving the house and they're seeing families on the streets and

03:05:22 - 03:05:52 | Speaker 1:

it's not like that's that's a step too far i think i just think this i think that if we are in a you know a world right now where i think that everybody is so on edge all the time where how did we get here because it was a point where i don't think we were here before and i don't know why it's gotten to this yep i wholeheartedly agree uh misfit victor is on the phone with us right now what's up victor hey good morning guys how are you good what's going on

03:05:53 - 03:05:54 | Speaker 4:

Kev, welcome back.

03:05:55 - 03:05:55 | Speaker 1:

Thanks, bro.

03:05:58 - 03:06:55 | Speaker 4:

No, I didn't catch the beginning of this because somebody just texted me and told me you guys were talking about this. But it is like you brought up, Mojo. Somebody has pictures of their kids on there, and you can't have children. Or if you're like Megan and you hate children completely, you have to remove those pictures. If somebody has a picture of their dog or cat and you're allergic to dogs or cats or it strikes a nerve with you, you have to remove those pictures. The lady has brought up the whole thing about Satan. If somebody had – I've seen people wearing shirts that have, you know, Satan on them or the pentagram or the upside-down cross. That's their belief. You know what? If they believe in that, that's fine. I don't sit here and run to HR or cry about it or try to force them to convert or anything like that, but we've just become so sensitive and it's, it's just, so the new policy here now is.

03:06:56 - 03:06:59 | Speaker 1:

Wait, so are you coming out right now to explain that this is you?

03:07:00 - 03:07:01 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Okay.

03:07:01 - 03:07:05 | Speaker 1:

Cause I did not say, I said it was just somebody I knew that was doing this. I did not say it was you.

03:07:05 - 03:08:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. No, it is me. It is me. And I had that little figure that I bought on Tik TOK on my desk, on my desk not in the break room not on like whatever anywhere for anybody else to have to you can buy jesus statues on tiktok yeah the trend is you buy these you buy these little statues on tiktok i paid i think like 10 bucks for 50 of them says jesus loves you and you're supposed to leave them at certain places you know and i guess the trend is on you know they've been left all over that capitol building is all over everywhere you know somebody just at work just showed me one oh somebody left one that um forgot where at and by that fountain in detroit it's just a little thing and i had it on my desk not you know it's not 10 feet tall it's shorter than a quarter had it on my desk for two months and when they came up with me they said you have to remove it i said why they said somebody might find it offensive i said well the roof might cave in, you know, the world might end, might, you know, woulda, coulda, shoulda, does anybody complain about it? No. So when I spoke to HR, I said, what are the, does it say anything in the handbook? No, they showed me the handbook and it says that they protect everybody's religious beliefs and make everybody comfortable and this and that. And I'm the one who said, well, I got to take this down. We got to take down everything. So they came out with the new Victor rule here, and everybody had to take down family pictures, dog pictures, wedding pictures, anything that was on there. Because I said somebody could find, somebody might, quote-unquote, might find this offensive one day.

03:08:51 - 03:08:52 | Speaker 1:

Do you feel bad doing it that way, though?

03:08:54 - 03:09:14 | Speaker 4:

I do, but it's just like, hey, you know what they say is what's good for the goose is good for the gander, I guess. I mean, it's just, like I said, in the world that we live in right now, anything can be offensive. I could have a packet of sugar on my counter on my desk here and somebody could say, oh, my dad's a diabetic. You need to remove that sugar.

03:09:14 - 03:09:27 | Speaker 1:

You can only have splinter. But that's the part that bums me out. And listen, I get it. I think it's great that you're sticking up for your religious beliefs, but I think that there's got to be a point where the company's got to realize that the insanity is there. Hannah, what did you want to say?

03:09:27 - 03:09:34 | Speaker 3:

I just wanted to say, after hearing Victor on the show so much, this is so Victor-coded. Right?

03:09:37 - 03:09:42 | Speaker 1:

Exactly. You knew right off the bat when I said it was a friend of mine. You knew exactly who the heck it was.

03:09:43 - 03:09:44 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah, for sure.

03:09:44 - 03:09:48 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh. And Jesus is still at my desk.

03:09:49 - 03:09:53 | Speaker 1:

So you still have, wait, so even though they told you to take it down, you still have it up?

03:09:54 - 03:10:29 | Speaker 4:

Oh, he's still there. Like one of my coworkers said, just say he resurrected. do you remember the the guy that lived in novi whose neighborhood association told me i'd take the nativity scene down and we on our show did a live nativity scene where all of us on the show were one of the members of the like we were all there i think spike was jesus i think i was one of the we're not wise men but it was back in the day and it was his neighborhood association told him that he didn't want to do it like you could they literally had it in their association that

03:10:29 - 03:11:04 | Speaker 6:

you could not do it um the worst part about this is the owner here is the nicest human being he is a religious man we actually go to the same church saw him at mass on ash wednesday he's donated money to tons of charities including uh catholic charities i doubt if he even knows what's going on because he would probably uh you know completely flip the script on them but it's just like this day and age to complain about something like that it's it it's ridiculous so alex what's up

03:11:04 - 03:11:24 | Speaker 2:

mojo in the morning so i think nobody should have anything personal at their desk because that just nowadays everything is everybody's so sensitive and everything i think hr should just have a rule that they should not have anything personal but where do you draw the line then is my question

03:11:24 - 03:11:37 | Speaker 1:

Because if nobody can have anything at their desks, then it becomes what somebody's wearing that becomes offensive. Then it becomes what somebody has hanging from their rearview mirror when they park in the company parking lot. Like, where do you draw the line?

03:11:38 - 03:11:43 | Speaker 6:

Or what about your iPhone pictures? What if your picture pops up on your iPhone or your watch at your desk?

03:11:43 - 03:11:46 | Speaker 1:

That's what scares me, is how far do you take it?

03:11:46 - 03:11:47 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Dallas, what's going on?

03:11:48 - 03:12:11 | Speaker 5:

What's up, guys? Okay, first of all, I want to say I think that the guy went about it the wrong way. He should have. When they said people might find it offensive, okay, well, let's do this. Ask if anybody finds it offensive. Send out an email. Say, hey, is this offensive to anybody? If it's no, everybody's happy. I don't think the company is going to do that. I don't think the company is going to do that. I mean, why not?

03:12:12 - 03:12:26 | Speaker 6:

I did bring that up. I said, well, who would find it offensive? Well, we can't say if somebody finds it offensive. If we asked everybody here and one person said, yes, we can tell you who it was. You know, it's that whole thing of...

03:12:26 - 03:12:36 | Speaker 5:

You don't have to know who it was, but if nobody finds it offensive, then, you know, there shouldn't be any problem. But it's about religion, so people might not be honest.

03:12:37 - 03:12:57 | Speaker 4:

If you have to clear everything, though, through everybody, at some point, now you're getting to a point where you're going, man they're the the sad thing is you're going to start having people that are going to say i'm only going to hire this type of people i'm only going to hire christians in this business or i'm going to hire non-christians and then what do you got you got an unconstitutional

03:12:57 - 03:13:21 | Speaker 6:

situation going on i don't know we we have this this guy one of our uh leads here and really nice guy he has pictures he had pictures of his sons on on his desk and he took them down and he said with these pictures he goes this is my motivation be here i see these pictures more than i see my kids in real life because he works so much and he's like i can't even look at pictures

03:13:21 - 03:13:30 | Speaker 4:

of my kid now and but do you feel bad do you feel bad about that then um no not really because i

03:13:30 - 03:13:51 | Speaker 6:

mean it's it sucks it sucks but i mean like like okay so according to this guy who just called everybody should be wearing a white or black t-shirt and jeans and you can't wear like a favorite band you can't wear like a brand or whatever and like and what is and then what

03:13:51 - 03:14:26 | Speaker 4:

have we just become we just i've studied that in history where people all had to wear the same exact thing and and and honestly that's the sad part is that the whole beauty is our you know freedom of speech and speech also includes what we wear and what we put up in our in our businesses i just think it's gotten to a point where it's it's sad this is very very sad we're we are very very sensitive but um victor i uh i have to take a break because yeah god is not giving us our

03:14:26 - 03:14:31 | Speaker 6:

payments today they even made me remove my picture of frank that works with west

03:14:31 - 03:14:42 | Speaker 4:

He always brings up stuff randomly. I'm very impressed. Victor, I got commercials to get to. God wants us to get to the commercials. We're going to get to commercials. We've got to go right back.

03:14:43 - 03:14:49 | Speaker 3:

Why aren't you getting a call back? Why did she call me back? We'll find out next with Mojo in the Morning's second date update.

03:14:49 - 03:14:51 | Unknown:

She was going to have my babies.

03:14:54 - 03:14:54 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning.

03:14:55 - 03:14:58 | Speaker 3:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

03:14:58 - 03:15:00 | Speaker 4:

If you are not getting a.

03:15:00 - 03:15:14 | Speaker 1:

call back from somebody that you went out with text date to 95500 and we will get you on our second date update jason did just that jason so how did you guys meet well we met on bumble um

03:15:14 - 03:15:19 | Speaker 2:

we went for drinks and then she just came up and like we hooked up after and i mean like it was

03:15:19 - 03:15:28 | Speaker 1:

really really good so you you guys when you say you hooked up meaning you guys uh went out or you hooked up like you guys you guys make cookies.

03:15:29 - 03:15:30 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

03:15:30 - 03:15:48 | Speaker 1:

So on the first date, on the first time with each other? Yeah. You know, it's usually the guy that doesn't call back after something like that. What would right? You know what I mean? Like, I hate to say it, but it's percentage of guys that don't call a girl after they hook up on a first date, you know?

03:15:48 - 03:15:55 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, I get that. I get that. Like, yeah, no, I mean, things went well and then they got awkward awkward afterward and I don't know why

03:15:55 - 03:16:26 | Speaker 1:

when you guys said goodbye to each other first off where'd you guys hook up your place or her place my place and when you said goodbye to her and you know said see you later or whatever do you guys give each other a hug kiss whatever yeah okay so you guys actually had a good goodbye and then she never has been heard from since you've tried to call her text her all that stuff yep all right we're gonna find out what's going on Emma's her name Emma's on with us Emma, you're okay with being on with us this morning?

03:16:28 - 03:16:29 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I am.

03:16:30 - 03:16:32 | Speaker 1:

Say hello to Jason, Emma.

03:16:34 - 03:16:42 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Hey. Hi, Jason. Hi, how's it going? Hi, how are you? I'm good. I'm good, you?

03:16:43 - 03:16:48 | Speaker 2:

I'm good. I just haven't heard from you in a while. I mean, I'm good regardless, but...

03:16:48 - 03:16:50 | Speaker 1:

Emma, what's going on? Everything okay?

03:16:51 - 03:16:59 | Speaker 3:

Good. um everything's good everything's okay i just i don't i don't know what jason told you so i feel

03:16:59 - 03:17:28 | Speaker 1:

like i don't were you listening on hold or could you hear on hold what we talked to him about or no i heard i heard a little bit okay so so we heard a little we talked about how you guys met on bumble and he did tell he did tell us you guys had a nice uh date and then you guys went back to his place and that he said that you guys did hook up with each other. And he said when you said goodbye, that you gave him a hug and a kiss and said goodbye, and that's the last he's talked to you. So that's pretty much what he said.

03:17:29 - 03:17:35 | Speaker 3:

Okay. So he didn't tell you that he kept calling me Anna when we were hooking up?

03:17:36 - 03:17:38 | Speaker 1:

He was calling you the wrong name. He was not calling

03:17:38 - 03:17:43 | Speaker 4:

you Emma. Was he aware of that? No. He was calling me Anna.

03:17:44 - 03:17:47 | Speaker 2:

No, I didn't realize Like, I was calling you another name.

03:17:48 - 03:17:51 | Speaker 1:

So you had no idea the entire time. So you didn't correct him at all, Emma?

03:17:54 - 03:18:05 | Speaker 3:

No, I mean, I don't know who Anna is, you know? So I just, like, went along with it in the moment, and I didn't bring it up after because I just, I didn't want to make it weird. Like, we were already hooking up.

03:18:05 - 03:18:06 | Unknown:

I've been there before.

03:18:06 - 03:18:11 | Speaker 1:

Have you called the girl the wrong name? I was called the wrong name. You were called? Oh, really?

03:18:11 - 03:18:15 | Speaker 4:

Did you stop what you were doing, or did you just let go? No, how would I do that? you call me

03:18:15 - 03:18:20 | Speaker 1:

what was she calling you I think it was her ex name

03:18:20 - 03:18:26 | Speaker 4:

and did you tell her after you were done that's none of my problem as long as he doesn't

03:18:26 - 03:18:42 | Speaker 1:

pop out of the closet she could be saying that to get him to come out of the closet I'm worried about coming with Jason yeah or is there an Anna or was it that you just didn't know her name

03:18:42 - 03:18:50 | Speaker 2:

I didn't realize I was calling her another name I mean Anna is like a girl That I talked to a while ago But like I wasn't thinking about her at that moment

03:18:50 - 03:18:53 | Speaker 1:

So it's just a mistake

03:18:53 - 03:18:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah it was a slip up I didn't know That I was calling her the wrong name

03:18:58 - 03:19:31 | Speaker 1:

Because I will say this to you That if you are calling somebody the wrong name I've done that before Not during sex But I've called people the wrong name all the time Heck I can't even get my kids names right I'm like Joe Jacob Luke You know what I mean it is embarrassing when it happens and usually you try to correct yourself but you also are corrected usually by the person that does it it would it be bad if emma would have said by the way i'm not anna i am emma should she have corrected him while they were there

03:19:31 - 03:19:37 | Speaker 4:

yeah absolutely what do you guys think i wouldn't have even corrected to that extent but i i think

03:19:37 - 03:19:45 | Speaker 2:

i would have just been like emma yeah just said my name yeah oh i see what you're saying you know

03:19:45 - 03:19:51 | Speaker 4:

what i mean not even correct i've just been like emma yeah you know i said no like i didn't know

03:19:51 - 03:20:19 | Speaker 1:

i was saying the wrong name um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 i'd love to know what you think of this but i'd also like to know if there's any list that have ever had sex with somebody for the first time and on the first time having sex has ever been called the wrong name, and what exactly do you do when that happens? Or what did you do? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I almost called her Anna.

03:20:19 - 03:20:21 | Speaker 8:

Oh, my God. Emma.

03:20:22 - 03:20:28 | Speaker 1:

Anna and Emma are similar. Yeah. So it's not like it's not real similar. You don't think so?

03:20:28 - 03:20:56 | Speaker 7:

it's not it's not that similar like at the end of the day i don't care if he even just mince like mispronounced emma and said like enna or something it's just weird to me in my head that like he was sleeping with me but had another girl in mind you know what i mean like that's what i don't care anybody can have a slip up anyone can have a slip up with a name it's more like he wasn't thinking about me when he was, like, in me.

03:20:57 - 03:21:03 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. All right, okay. Hold on. Sarah wants to comment on this. What's going on, Sarah? It's Mojo in the Morning. Hi.

03:21:04 - 03:21:22 | Speaker 8:

Hey, I've just got an opinion about this. When you're on Bumble and you're first time meeting up with someone, you may have a lot of different names in your queue, and I got to give this guy some grace. He may be chatting with other people and not really remember her name. I don't know.

03:21:22 - 03:21:27 | Speaker 1:

What about the fact that he's in bed with her naked and they're having sex at that moment?

03:21:29 - 03:21:35 | Speaker 8:

I don't know how much time you're using each other's names in their regular conversation face-to-face during the date.

03:21:36 - 03:21:36 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

03:21:36 - 03:21:42 | Speaker 8:

I mean, what are you going to do? Go back to your Bumble chat and make sure that you have the right name?

03:21:42 - 03:21:49 | Speaker 1:

Has that ever happened to anybody when you're dating and you forget what name you're out with? Really? Has that happened to you, Sarah?

03:21:49 - 03:21:50 | Unknown:

Yes.

03:21:50 - 03:22:08 | Speaker 8:

Yes. Wow. No, no, no. I'm not necessarily saying in bed, but over a coffee shop or something. Oh, yeah. Like, shoot, is this guy or this guy? And I don't want to say his name because I'm going to screw it up, and I don't want to pull up a chat because that's how you speak to laughter. I don't know.

03:22:08 - 03:22:11 | Speaker 1:

That's embarrassing. What's up, Danielle? What's going on?

03:22:12 - 03:22:22 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Good morning. No, I just want to say it's up to the individual to make the name correction, whether in the moment or not. It's up to that person.

03:22:22 - 03:22:23 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

03:22:23 - 03:22:25 | Speaker 3:

I agree with you. Not that. Yeah.

03:22:25 - 03:22:27 | Speaker 1:

So Emma should have said something.

03:22:28 - 03:22:44 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. But you're in the heat of the moment. You're enjoying yourself. You don't, she probably didn't want to interrupt you. But that's why I think just a simple correction of just saying your name. It's Emma. Might trigger, you don't have to say it, it's just Emma. Like when he's saying somebody else's name would maybe trigger him to go, oh yeah.

03:22:45 - 03:22:46 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Chelsea.

03:22:47 - 03:22:58 | Speaker 4:

Hi, good morning. I was just calling to say, I'm a little bit playful with my confrontation, so I'm always like, she can have you, or that's one of your other girlfriends.

03:22:59 - 03:23:09 | Speaker 1:

That actually would be funny, wouldn't it? It would be like, I'll be her for a night, you know? That'd be different. Those would all be fun. Elizabeth, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

03:23:10 - 03:23:19 | Speaker 10:

Okay, so no disrespect, but you did kind of just meet the guy. Like, how many times has he already said your name?

03:23:19 - 03:23:29 | Speaker 6:

If he's not confident, he shouldn't be saying it. That's something he doesn't say unless you have 100% confidence. It probably wasn't.

03:23:29 - 03:23:34 | Speaker 9:

It's like a one-night stand. Like, he doesn't, I don't, I just, I don't know. I'm kind of giving him some grace, too.

03:23:34 - 03:23:40 | Speaker 5:

Probably wasn't premeditated, either. Well, he said he wasn't even aware he was doing it. Yeah, it probably just came up.

03:23:40 - 03:23:42 | Speaker 1:

Ronnie, you had this happen to you? Is that right?

03:23:42 - 03:24:19 | Speaker 2:

well in a sense i did i i called the girl another name but not mid-sex no when was it ronnie what were you doing changing her oil um you know just in in conversation like these two were yeah but the thing to me is if if it meant that much to her that she wasn't gonna call this guy back and go on another date with him, why didn't she just correct him at the time then if it was, you know?

03:24:19 - 03:24:23 | Speaker 6:

Well, maybe she would have called him back for another date if he was respectful enough to learn her name.

03:24:24 - 03:24:29 | Speaker 1:

It's a mistake, though. Well, you're on a dating site, you know?

03:24:29 - 03:24:37 | Speaker 6:

I mean... Being on a dating site doesn't mean you don't deserve respect for people to call you by the right name. Why didn't she stop the act?

03:24:37 - 03:24:41 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Olivia, what happened to you?

03:24:42 - 03:24:57 | Speaker 4:

This was years ago when I was a teenager, but I was having sex with Jeff, and I called him Todd. I don't know. Maybe he thought I was saying, oh, God. I don't know. I didn't say anything, and he didn't say anything.

03:24:57 - 03:24:58 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

03:24:58 - 03:24:59 | Speaker 4:

We are not saying anything.

03:25:00 - 03:25:05 | Speaker 6:

It doesn't matter. You feel bad still to this day about that one. Poor guy, right?

03:25:05 - 03:25:06 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah.

03:25:06 - 03:25:12 | Speaker 6:

All right, well, second date update. There's no chance of another date, Jason, between you and Anna here.

03:25:14 - 03:25:17 | Speaker 8:

I'm just going to call everybody Bob during sex.

03:25:17 - 03:25:23 | Speaker 6:

That would make it even weirder. And by the way, I thought Emma would catch me, but I said it. I know.

03:25:23 - 03:25:30 | Speaker 4:

No, I heard it. I heard it. But what do you want? Like, again, I just don't correct in the moment, so I don't know what you want me to do.

03:25:30 - 03:25:35 | Speaker 6:

No other dates? Emma, would you go on another date?

03:25:37 - 03:25:49 | Speaker 4:

I don't know if I'm in a situation. Now, I would. Okay. I like that. But it would have to be, like, I don't want to sleep with you for a while, Jason.

03:25:49 - 03:25:54 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, we'll pay for the date. Only if you guys wear the, hello, my name is.

Yeah, I will wear that.

03:25:59 - 03:26:10 | Speaker 8:

This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

03:28:08 - 03:28:53 | Speaker 3:

My name is Patrick Pettway, and I am getting my Associates of Science and General Education with an emphasis in business administration. To me, it was a no-brainer. When you go out here and you're looking for funding to go back to college as a 40-year-old man, I got six people in my household. The extra money just doesn't just grow out of trees. For me to be able to be accepted through FAFSA and to have Bishop State pay for all of my tuition, not only that, but the curriculums, you know, they make it so easy to understand on their website. Like I said, I'm a 40-year-old man, so I don't use technology too much, but it was very understandable where I needed to go. It was extremely fast. These past two years, things have just moved in a total different type of way. It's like its own moving entity to see things manifest the way that they do.
