00:00:47 - 00:00:54 | Speaker 8:

We've all seen the headlines. Florida man wrestles alligator in a tuxedo, or Florida man sues after finding toenails in his ice cream.

00:00:54 - 00:00:59 | Speaker 2:

It's easy to laugh at the meme, but have you ever wondered about the human behind the headline?

00:00:59 - 00:01:00 | Speaker 8:

Hey, I'm Frankie P.

00:01:00 - 00:01:05 | Speaker 2:

00:01:05 - 00:01:14 | Speaker 7:

From interviews with real people who make Florida weird. I'm pulling it up, and as I'm pulling it up, I see an arm. Stop it. Come down.

00:01:14 - 00:01:21 | Speaker 2:

To deep dives into the stories you didn't know you were looking for. Hey, give it up for Mark Wahlberg on the podcast today. It's more than just a meme, it's a lifestyle.

00:01:21 - 00:01:26 | Speaker 8:

You're not being logical is what I'm saying.

00:02:27 - 00:02:29 | Speaker 1:

This is like an orgasm and a cop.

00:02:34 - 00:03:19 | Unknown:

Showtime! We'll be right back.

00:03:19 - 00:03:44 | Speaker 6:

Good morning and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. It is so nice to have you guys here with us today. Hope you had a good weekend. At the tone, the time will be 6.14. Just making sure everybody's got that right. I think by now, don't all clocks change? Although my kitchen clock, for some reason, still doesn't change.

00:03:44 - 00:03:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I didn't change the microwave and the stove.

00:03:47 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 1:

And my car.

00:03:48 - 00:04:37 | Speaker 6:

Your car? Your card? You had to change that yourself? I did, yeah. Really? Yeah. Where's the digital technology on that thing? I don't know. I had to do that. I had the Jeep. The Wrangler was like bare bones. I got a base model and stuff. And I could never figure out how to do it. And I don't know if you remember, but I'd have to ask people on the air how to figure it out. Because what I'd do is I'd change it. And then the problem was after you change it, you're like, okay, I changed it. And next thing you know, I'd look at it and go, it's the same thing. I wasn't saving it or something like that. but I actually got like no sleep going into Sunday because we stayed out really late on Saturday night and then, of course, lost that hour of sleep. But I went to bed last night, and I don't want to make anybody jealous here, but I was actually laying in bed at 8.30 last night. I think I fell asleep by 9.

00:04:37 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 1:

And I bet you those Oscars put you right to sleep. You know what's funny? It was like a noisemaker.

00:04:42 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 6:

I turned him on at 8 o'clock. I got to watch Kimmel do his monologue.

00:04:49 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 1:

He was good.

00:04:50 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

And then I watched the first two awards, which were good. The acceptance speeches were good. And then I realized, I don't know. I knew who Jamie Lee Curtis was. I had no idea who anybody else was.

00:05:00 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, because I hadn't seen any movies, you know what I mean? Like I haven't been I think Top Gun was the only movie I saw. And I was thinking and I'm bummed that I didn't get a chance. I saw Gaga at the beginning. They pointed her out and she was, you know, all dressed up and she had her makeup and stuff on. And then she took all that makeup off and did her performance. And all I kept thinking to myself was, did the you know, I thought it was great that she did that. But I'm thinking that's a lot of work. That's a lot of freaking work.

00:05:27 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 3:

And she probably went to an after party, so she had to put all the makeup on.

00:05:30 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 1:

Really? I don't know. Maybe she didn't. You'll have details about, like, why she did it and what was the story and stuff? Yeah. I just saw the headline. Her performance was incredible. Yeah. Oh, man. So it's going to be two weekends in a row of St. Patrick's Day fun because I ended up going from being in Florida and then going to Chicago and hanging out for St. Patrick's Day in Chicago. And let me just say this to you guys. the drunks are back in full force they are like yes here come the partiers they they were out and about as they it was cool to see them how they died the the river green because you know i grew up in the chicago area on the south side of chicago i never watched them ever die the the river green when i had lived there for most of my life and um never knew first of I never knew that it was like orange paint that made it to green, turn green. Yeah, it's weird. It's like orange coming out of the spouts on the back of these boats. And they use the tourist boats. You know, those ones that people will take around and take a tour of the riverfront and stuff. And it's really wild how they keep it from getting into Lake Michigan. Like they have like the dam there so that it doesn't go into Lake Michigan. Because I guess they're not allowed to ever get that dyed green. Although I always wondered to myself, I'm like, isn't most of the river green anyway? Renalgy. Yeah, exactly. But holy crap. I'm just going to say this. If what I witnessed this past Saturday into Sunday morning has anything like what we're going to be doing in Grand Rapids on Saturday for Irish and Ionia. Get ready, guys. I saw more people carrying friends. I saw more people throwing up into garbage cans on the sides of the road Or just throwing up on the sides of the road

00:07:29 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 2:

I know you drove through some snow to get there Was it good weather for the party on Saturday?

00:07:35 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 1:

So actually, let me say that I flew in to Chicago So I flew into O'Hare Airport, which I haven't done that in a long time O'Hare Airport's a scene in itself That's a place where you go to and you're like I don't even know if I'm going to get out of this place It's so crazy there. But no, and then we drove downtown, so I did take an Uber to downtown, and it really wasn't horrible, but then it started snowing, Spike. It started getting kind of blustery a little bit, and people were still out partying. So I will tell you that I witnessed a guy almost get hit by a city bus. He was wasted, like walked into traffic. I witnessed, I'm not kidding you if I say this to you. I'm guessing it had to be hundreds of thousands of people that were downtown because of it was packed all over the place and lines of people in really cold weather waiting to get into just restaurants or bars or whatever that they can get into.

00:08:35 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. It was awesome. It was great to see. Is there one bar that everybody really wants to be at or it's just anywhere you can get in?

00:08:41 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 1:

Well, there's definitely, there's a few of those like mothers and things like that, you know, like those bars that are like the typical like party bars and stuff. But I guess there's a lot of Irish bars that are kind of like where they do their parade route there, which the parade was on Sunday. So they didn't have the parade until Sunday, which is great. I got the hell out of that city as soon as I could because they were closed down.

00:09:06 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 3:

I love it. I'm so ready for this weekend. I am ready for a cartwheel handstand weekend. And you know if I've had some drinks, it is on. I become an Olympic gymnast, to which I am not.

00:09:19 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 2:

Well, same. I mean, I've only had two beers in the month of March to prepare myself. That's not preparing yourself. I've been saving it all up for this weekend's festivities.

00:09:28 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 1:

But no, but you're going to be out of...

00:09:31 - 00:09:32 | Speaker 3:

You're going to crash and burn real fast.

00:09:32 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 2:

I think you forget who I am.

00:09:34 - 00:09:40 | Speaker 1:

It's in my blood. That's like exercising and just like running a marathon without preparing for it.

00:09:40 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 2:

I'm all good.

00:09:41 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 1:

Are you sure?

00:09:42 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:09:42 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

I'm worried about you. By the way, I'm going on record to say this to you. Just because I am the fat guy, I'm not carrying anybody. Because I saw every fat guy or, honestly, fat woman carrying their friends on their back, doing piggyback rides. When are we going to get carried?

00:10:00 - 00:10:03 | Speaker 3:

We know you don't have the highest tolerance. Mojo's usually a one-drink date.

00:10:04 - 00:10:13 | Speaker 2:

I had, okay, so I was not drinking, sounds like, for St. Patrick's Day, but I had, I think, five Old Fashions on Saturday night.

00:10:14 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 1:

How are you not on the ground?

00:10:15 - 00:11:12 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Chelsea was like, excuse me, but your son is here right now. Your son's, actually, because we had Jacob and Luke with us. And they're like, they're starting to get a little embarrassed by you. And I said, I'm sorry, I'll come back a little bit. And then I look over at EJ, who is with us, EJ, who does our night show here. And he goes, I'm your third son, and I am extremely embarrassed right now. But, yeah, so I was kind of having some fun. Is everybody ready for St. Patrick's Day? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Are you guys going to be out with us at Kennedy's Irish Pub, which is in Waterford, Michigan, on Friday? And then, like we said, Saturday, Irish and Ionia. We're covering St. Patrick's Day in such a huge way. I'm going to tell you this, that I already had one shamrock shake this entire time, too. I had it last week. That was a mistake, by the way.

00:11:12 - 00:11:12 | Speaker 3:

Why?

00:11:13 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 2:

I will say this. Drinking those five old fashions was not a mistake. Because I felt so guilty for having it afterwards. Why? Because, well, first off, you know, it's like I'm trying to stay away from sugars and things like that. That was one of the things with the Ideal U Health Center was doing that. And I'd rather get my sugar from the alcohol than get my sugar from a shake. Do you ever get that?

00:11:37 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 1:

And I'm telling you, it tastes different. It tastes different than it did when we were little.

00:11:40 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it does. It does. They put a little chocolatey in it. So they do that.

00:11:44 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 1:

I don't know where it is.

00:11:45 - 00:11:50 | Speaker 2:

And then, yeah, it's a little, it's not as minty, normal minty as I remember.

00:11:50 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 1:

See, I think it's way too overly minty.

00:11:51 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really?

00:11:52 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 1:

Maybe the two, I've had two. Maybe the two I've had.

00:11:54 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 2:

You've had two so far?

00:11:55 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Wow. The kids love them, so I'm always like, let's go get a shamrock.

00:12:01 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 2:

Cut her off.

00:12:01 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 1:

You guys want one, right?

00:12:03 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. What do we got planned on Saturday, Mike? I don't know if you guys have seen the ice luge, but are we going to expose that ice luge today? Are we going to give people an opportunity to see what that ice luge is all about?

00:12:18 - 00:12:42 | Speaker 3:

Do you want to post that picture? I mean, it's not fully done yet. It's not fully done yet. So I feel like, I mean, I showed Mojo because I'm pretty excited about it, but it's not like the luge part, the part coming out of his mouth isn't done yet. I can send you guys a picture, but it's just not, I want like the full, you know what I mean? I want you to see it for the first time and be like, oh my God, that is the greatest because it'll be finished. This is like, here I got, here I got a mock-up. I'm showing them mock-ups.

00:12:43 - 00:12:51 | Speaker 2:

So here's the mock-up of it. So it's coming, it's going to be coming out of my, my mouth, I guess. So that's where it's going to come out of.

00:12:51 - 00:12:51 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's a perfect picture too.

00:12:51 - 00:12:54 | Speaker 3:

So everybody that wants a shot is going to look like they're making out with you.

00:12:55 - 00:13:13 | Speaker 2:

Yes. And it's kind of an animated picture, right? It's kind of got a little bit of animation done to it, Mike, where they kind of made it. I still say that there's nothing worse than somebody baby birding another person. But this will be pretty much what you'll be doing is baby birding this.

00:13:13 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 3:

Just think about all the pictures with an open mouth. I know.

00:13:17 - 00:13:46 | Speaker 2:

Can I ask a question of the most annoying drunk before we go any further? Because I experienced the most annoying drunk, and they weren't even a friend of mine. It wasn't even somebody I was hanging out with. So we were walking down, I think it was Rush Street in Chicago, and I got punched by the puncher. The puncher is the most annoying drunk. You know what I'm talking about? Like, the people that when they get drunk, they feel like they've got to, like, hitch you in the shoulder or, you know, give you a...

00:13:46 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 1:

They get aggressive.

00:13:48 - 00:13:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and they're constantly punching your arm and stuff like that.

00:13:51 - 00:13:56 | Speaker 1:

Not fight aggressive, but, like, bro, you're my bro. It's awful. It's awful.

00:13:56 - 00:14:30 | Speaker 2:

Dude. The puncher has now surpassed the person who always gets sick. That's been always one of my least favorites of the drunks that maybe we might encounter on Friday and Saturday. And then the crier The crying drunk is always a fun drunk The one that decides That they're going to just start Crying about something That's been in their past That they probably need to go to therapy for And their therapy was Maybe too many green beers On St. Patrick's Day

00:14:30 - 00:14:35 | Speaker 1:

I can't stand the I have to start a fight everywhere I go drunk

00:14:35 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 2:

Oh yeah I was about to be that person I was about to be that person with a puncher The funniest was The funniest was the girl came up to me And she punches me and she starts punching me In the shoulder and I'm like what Yeah oh yeah oh yeah she was the puncher And her friends are apologizing To like me And to my wife and I'm really Sorry what's going on She's like hey how you doing

00:15:00 - 00:15:08 | Speaker 5:

Come on, you're having fun, aren't you? And she just keeps hammering at the old shoulder there. And I'm like, I can't put up with this anymore.

00:15:08 - 00:15:09 | Speaker 6:

You're bruising me.

00:15:09 - 00:15:42 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. And I can't fight back because I fight back, then what? Somebody's got it on video camera and the guy fighting back, nobody sees that the girl's been drunk and she's been punching me the whole time. So I'm just taking it and just sitting there cowering in the corner afterwards. But it did hurt. And actually, I think I might even have a little bit of a bruise there right now. Oh, my God, you poor thing. It hurts so bad. All right. So if you come out with us on Friday and Saturday, just understand that if you get involved in this whole thing, I'm having security throw your ass out. I will have access to the security. How smart are you?

00:15:42 - 00:15:49 | Speaker 4:

It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events, and you tell us what year it happened.

00:15:49 - 00:15:57 | Speaker 5:

All right, all happened in the same year. This was the year that then-Vice President Cheney accidentally shot his friend in the face while hunting.

00:15:58 - 00:16:09 | Speaker 3:

Vice President Dick Cheney? shot his hunting buddy in the face. Cheney was quail hunting with Harry Wittenton in Texas when he accidentally fired a shotgun, not realizing it was pointed at Wittenton.

00:16:09 - 00:16:13 | Speaker 5:

The Twitter plat, or I'm sorry, the social media platform Twitter started this year.

00:16:14 - 00:16:21 | Speaker 1:

Twitter is the fastest way to get real-time information from around the world. It's much like a newspaper that automatically updates as news stories occur.

00:16:21 - 00:16:37 | Speaker 5:

And the big song. Sean Paul, want to win tickets to see the Kid Leroy? Going to be coming to town here. We've got your tickets. Good luck.

00:16:38 - 00:16:48 | Speaker 4:

What year did these things happen? Call us at 844-MOJO-LIVE to tell us. 844-665-6548. Mojo in the morning.

00:16:48 - 00:16:49 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the morning.

00:16:49 - 00:16:55 | Speaker 4:

Testing your memory this early in the morning. This is Mojo's Back in the Day. Back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:16:55 - 00:16:59 | Speaker 5:

It was the year that Vice President Dick Cheney shot his hunting buddy.

00:16:59 - 00:17:12 | Speaker 3:

Vice President Dick Cheney shot his hunting buddy in the face. Cheney was quail hunting with Harry Wittenton in Texas when he accidentally fired a shotgun, not realizing it was pointed at Wittenton.

00:17:12 - 00:17:13 | Speaker 5:

Twitter started in this year.

00:17:13 - 00:17:21 | Speaker 1:

Twitter is the fastest way to get real-time information from around the world. It's much like a newspaper that automatically updates as news stories occur.

00:17:21 - 00:17:29 | Speaker 5:

And Sean Paul's Temperature was the big song on the station here. What year was it? Crystal, what year was that?

00:17:30 - 00:17:30 | Speaker 3:

2006.

00:17:31 - 00:17:32 | Speaker 5:

It was. Congratulations.

00:17:32 - 00:17:33 | Speaker 3:

Thank you.

00:17:33 - 00:17:34 | Speaker 5:

What gave it away?

00:17:35 - 00:17:38 | Speaker 3:

Temperature by Sean Paul. I used to love that song.

00:17:38 - 00:17:59 | Speaker 5:

Good song. We're going to set you up with tickets to go see the Kid LaRoy March 29th at EMU's George Girvin Center. Congratulations. Thank you. Mojo Concert Series. Lots of good concert tickets that we're giving away today, and you've got a pair. Hang on the phone for just one second, okay? Thank you. Taylor Swift tickets, I'm going to give those to you right now.

00:17:59 - 00:18:06 | Speaker 4:

Coming up, a call that somebody should have sent to voicemail. Spike's phone scan. It's this morning at 6.50 on Mojo in the Morning.

00:18:07 - 00:18:33 | Speaker 5:

Don't ever do that to me. You startled me, deep voice guy, with that. We'll give you a chance to win Taylor tickets right now. And we've got a big concert announcement coming up later this morning. Somebody that's big, big, big at 8 o'clock. Text for Taylor. Text Taylor right now to 95500 to win tickets. Text Taylor to 95500, and you'll have a chance to win Taylor Swift tickets. Come in to Ford Field in downtown Detroit in June. Standard text and data rates do apply.

00:18:34 - 00:18:36 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:18:36 - 00:18:41 | Speaker 5:

All right, the Dirty on the 30. Lots of Oscars talk today. What's going on, Shannon?

00:18:41 - 00:19:02 | Speaker 6:

Well, everything everywhere all at once, and all quiet on the Western front. We're the big winners at the 95th Academy Awards last night. Michelle Yeoh winning the Best Actress Prize for Everything, which was also the winner of the top prize, Best Picture. She made history as the first Asian woman to win the Best Actress Oscar.

00:19:02 - 00:19:14 | Speaker 2:

This is proof that dreams dream big and dreams do come true. And ladies, don't let anybody tell you you are ever past your prime.

00:19:14 - 00:19:55 | Speaker 6:

Kirk co-stars K-Hu Kwan and Jamie Lee Curtis won for Best Supporting Actor and Actress, respectively. All Quiet on the Western Front scored trophies for all sorts of stuff. Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Set Design, Best Score, Best International Film. All of which were televised awards last night. It was a very long show. Toward the end of the night, Brendan Fraser won the Best Actor Award for The Whale. Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio was named Best Animated Picture. Top Gun Maverick winning for Best Sound. Jimmy Kimmel hosting the show for the third time, opening the show by dropping from the ceiling in a parachute. A nod to Best Picture nominee, Top Gun Maverick.

00:19:55 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 4:

Everyone loved Top Gun. Everybody. I mean, Tom.

00:20:00 - 00:20:08 | Speaker 2:

Cruz with his shirt off and that beach football scene? L. Ron Hubba Hubba. He was good. And yes, lots

00:20:08 - 00:20:38 | Speaker 3:

of jokes and references to last year's Will Smith slap throughout the night. I'll play you some of those. Out on the champagne carpet before the show, not the red carpet, because remember the color changed this year. Actor Hugh Grant came under fire after his very awkward interview with model Ashley Graham during ABC's countdown to the Oscars. Did you see this? Yeah. I have always liked you, Grant, but she was asking him some pretty standard questions, but he was, like, cold and short and uninterested.

00:20:38 - 00:20:42 | Speaker 1:

Are you excited to see anybody win? Do you have your hopes up for anyone?

00:20:44 - 00:20:46 | Speaker 2:

Not, no one in particular.

00:20:47 - 00:20:49 | Speaker 1:

Okay, well, what are you wearing tonight, then?

00:20:50 - 00:20:51 | Speaker 4:

Just my suit. Your suit?

00:20:51 - 00:20:53 | Speaker 1:

Who made your suit? You didn't make it.

00:20:53 - 00:20:55 | Speaker 4:

I can't remember. My tailor.

00:20:55 - 00:21:08 | Speaker 1:

That's okay. Shout out to the tailor. Yeah. So tell me, what does it feel like to be in Glass Onion? It was such an amazing film. I really loved it. I love a thriller. How fun is it to shoot something like that?

00:21:08 - 00:21:10 | Speaker 4:

Well, I'm barely in it. I'm in it for about three seconds.

00:21:10 - 00:21:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but still, you showed up and you had fun, right?

00:21:14 - 00:21:14 | Speaker 4:

Almost.

00:21:15 - 00:21:15 | Speaker 1:

Okay, all right.

00:21:16 - 00:21:20 | Speaker 3:

So if you saw him trending on Twitter, that was fine.

00:21:20 - 00:21:46 | Speaker 5:

He should have been a gentleman about it. It's the job. But I did comment to Meg last night watching the pre-roll that Ashley gets questions, and they're all printed on cards. You'd think they would give more interesting questions, but every question to every star was, are you excited? How are you feeling? How are you feeling? Are you excited? And who are you excited to see? Yeah, yeah. So I was like, well, why have the star up if you're not going to ask anything interesting about the role or the movie or the filming or the night?

00:21:46 - 00:21:52 | Speaker 4:

But honestly, and here's the thing, the best of the best is E. E does the best in that. Ryan did a great job.

00:21:53 - 00:22:01 | Speaker 5:

When does Ryan start? because I turned it over and it was just the fashion commenter showing dresses and the four people on the couch talking about.

00:22:01 - 00:22:06 | Speaker 4:

I saw clips on his Instagram and I saw clips on their Twitter. So I don't know.

00:22:07 - 00:22:08 | Speaker 5:

Maybe he doesn't do it on TV anymore.

00:22:08 - 00:22:18 | Speaker 3:

But he's friends. He has a personal relationship with a lot of these celebrities and that helps so much because they just, they're talking like they're friends.

00:22:18 - 00:22:29 | Speaker 5:

Listen, I love me some Vanessa Hudgens, but they were both just so boring as interviewers. It's like, why bother? You've got all access to all the best stars because you're ABC tonight. Let's get some good interviews.

00:22:29 - 00:22:37 | Speaker 4:

But if you're the stars, though, just play along and just have some fun. You can see the stars that do that and kind of play along. But, I mean, I don't know.

00:22:38 - 00:23:27 | Speaker 3:

Oh, he was getting called a D, a douchebag. I mean, he was just getting roasted on Twitter. And lastly, Shaq is missing. Shaquille O'Neal is allegedly hiding to avoid being served a class action lawsuit against that has been filed against celebrities who endorsed that failed cryptocurrency business FTX. The former Lakers star was one of several high profile celebs, including Steph Curry, Tom Brady, Gisele, Larry David. Listed in this lawsuit filed by FTX investor Edwin Garrison, he claimed that his crypto account went bankrupt after being exposed to celebrity endorsements. And this guy's lawyers revealed that of all the celebrities that were named in the suit, Shaq is the only person avoiding the lawyers, and he was actually among the biggest celebrities promoting FTX services last year.

00:23:27 - 00:23:29 | Speaker 2:

When I was born, a doctor dropped me on my head.

00:23:29 - 00:23:37 | Speaker 3:

He hosted a Super Bowl party at Shaq's Fun House in L.A. as part of his partnership with the company, and now nobody can find him.

00:23:37 - 00:23:46 | Speaker 4:

I'm guessing with the NBA playoffs coming up, they're going to find him in the studios, right? They're going to be able to know where he is. They'll be in that TNT studios with Charles Barkley and those guys. They'll get him.

00:23:46 - 00:23:50 | Speaker 3:

5 at 6.55 coming up here in moments. We're going to do a phone scam. Ryan had a bad experience when he was out to eat with his buddies, and he's just been complaining about it nonstop. Well, his friends told Spike about this, and we did a phone scam. It's a Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

00:24:29 - 00:24:32 | Speaker 2:

You're home with the phone scams. Hi, baby.

00:24:32 - 00:24:33 | Speaker 5:

Can I ask you a question?

00:24:35 - 00:24:39 | Speaker 2:

This is Mojo in the Morning. Hello?

00:24:40 - 00:24:41 | Speaker 5:

Hi. Can I speak to Ryan, please?

00:24:42 - 00:24:43 | Speaker 2:

This is he.

00:24:43 - 00:24:54 | Speaker 5:

Hi, Ryan. This is Wendell Borton from Steakhouse. I'm the district manager. Hey, how are you doing? Good. I was going through the customer comment cards, and I understand you had a problem at one of our restaurants.

00:24:55 - 00:24:56 | Speaker 2:

Yes, I did.

00:24:57 - 00:24:58 | Speaker 5:

Well, can you tell me about it?

00:24:59 - 00:25:00 | Speaker 2:

I...

00:25:00 - 00:25:55 | Speaker 4:

ordered my steak medium rare, which you guys usually do a really great job on, and we brought out the steak. Everybody's steak was prepared correctly except for mine. We brought out mine well done. So I just told the waitress and she took it back and said that she was very sorry and she'd get another one. And it took her about, I don't know, 15, 20 minutes to appear back with another steak. And by that time, everyone else at my table had finished their steaks and the damn steak was well done again the waitress didn't even think early care she she was she really wasn't apologetic at all and now you're calling me so what's the gist of your problem like what's the bottom line i i just told you the bottom line is that you guys brought me two well-done steaks when i ordered a steak that was medium rare and you guys weren't apologetic fascist at all.

00:25:56 - 00:26:02 | Speaker 3:

Ah, okay. All right, well, thanks for your suggestions. We hope you return to the steakhouse again soon.

00:26:03 - 00:26:04 | Unknown:

So that's it?

00:26:04 - 00:26:24 | Speaker 3:

Yep, I wrote down your comments. Thank you. What did he just say at the end there? He said... He swore at you. He called me some nice names. Rhymes with masshole. I'm not sure what that was. Not done annoying him yet. Let's dial him back.

00:26:29 - 00:26:29 | Speaker 4:

Hello?

00:26:30 - 00:26:32 | Speaker 3:

Hi, can I speak to Ryan, please?

00:26:33 - 00:26:34 | Speaker 4:

This is he.

00:26:34 - 00:26:42 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Ryan. This is Wendell Borton from *** Steakhouse. I'm the district manager, and I'm going through customer comment cards. I understand you had a problem at one of our restaurants.

00:26:42 - 00:26:43 | Speaker 4:

You just called me.

00:26:45 - 00:26:46 | Speaker 3:

I just called you?

00:26:46 - 00:26:49 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I just spoke to you.

00:26:49 - 00:26:51 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so what is your problem?

00:26:51 - 00:26:54 | Speaker 4:

I told you my problem.

00:26:55 - 00:26:58 | Speaker 3:

This is the guy about the waitress bringing back a different steak?

00:26:59 - 00:27:01 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, this is that guy.

00:27:01 - 00:27:05 | Speaker 3:

The way it was worded on the customer comment card, I thought she's spitting your food or something.

00:27:06 - 00:27:07 | Speaker 4:

Are you the supervisor?

00:27:07 - 00:27:08 | Speaker 3:

The district manager.

00:27:09 - 00:27:12 | Speaker 4:

Right. Is there anyone higher than you there I can talk to?

00:27:12 - 00:27:28 | Speaker 3:

Haven't you heard the old cliche? If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say a f***ing thing. Right. So, I'm trying to give good customer service. Was the salad okay? Salad's fine. Were the drinks okay?

00:27:30 - 00:27:30 | Speaker 4:

They're fine.

00:27:30 - 00:27:31 | Speaker 3:

How are the appetizers?

00:27:32 - 00:27:35 | Speaker 4:

This is about the steak, isn't it? Why are you asking about the rest of the steak?

00:27:35 - 00:27:41 | Speaker 3:

Well, it's just one little thing, and you're going to fill out an angry customer card and risk getting a woman fired from her job just because you had a bad night.

00:27:41 - 00:27:44 | Speaker 4:

All right, I'm done talking to you. I don't know how the hell you guys stay in business.

00:27:44 - 00:27:50 | Speaker 3:

Would you be willing to stay on the phone after our conversation so that you can participate in a customer satisfaction survey?

00:27:52 - 00:27:52 | Speaker 4:

No.

00:27:52 - 00:28:01 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so I'll write down obviously no, and I'll write down that you obviously don't listen to Mojo in the morning or you would have known you're being phone scammed right now.

00:28:03 - 00:28:04 | Speaker 4:

Oh, f*** you.

00:28:08 - 00:28:30 | Speaker 1:

We will, we will scam you. You've been phone scammed. It's Mojo in the Morning's world-famous phone scam. It's Mojo in the Morning's 5 at 6.55. 5 at 6.55, yo, 5 at 6.55, yo, now.

00:28:31 - 00:28:45 | Speaker 2:

5 at 6.55, giving you a chance to test your pop culture knowledge, see what you guys are paying attention to when it comes to Shannon's Dirty on the 30 or stuff that you see online. Nikki, what's going on? How are you?

00:28:45 - 00:28:46 | Speaker 5:

00:28:46 - 00:28:57 | Speaker 2:

Fantastic. Going for your fourth win in a row. Welcome back to another We Care, and say hello to your challenger. She is a stay-at-home mom. She's from St. Clair Shores. Welcome, Arielle.

00:28:58 - 00:29:00 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. Good morning.

00:29:01 - 00:29:03 | Speaker 2:

Hey, what's going on? How are you, Arielle?

00:29:03 - 00:29:04 | Speaker 5:

I'm great.

00:29:05 - 00:29:07 | Speaker 2:

Nice to have you here. Say hello to Nikki.

00:29:08 - 00:29:10 | Speaker 5:

Hi, Nikki. Hi, Arielle.

00:29:10 - 00:29:24 | Speaker 2:

We're going to lock up Nikki in a soundproof area, and we're going to start this contest here. The 5 at 6.55, five pop culture trivia questions. Whoever gets the most right wins, Ty, always goes to the champion. Arielle, how do you have this much energy with a one-year-old at home?

00:29:24 - 00:29:29 | Speaker 5:

You know what? I just always got that type of energy. I was an infant teacher before her. Wow.

00:29:30 - 00:29:45 | Speaker 2:

Man, you've got to pass that all over to us after losing an hour's sleep this weekend. We're going to give you a chance to try to see if you can beat the champion. Question number one. The carpet wasn't red at last night's Academy Awards. What color was it?

00:29:46 - 00:29:46 | Speaker 5:

It was gold.

00:29:47 - 00:29:55 | Speaker 2:

Question number two. By the way, that's going to be a technicality, I think. Don't you think? It was gold?

00:29:55 - 00:29:56 | Speaker 5:

Champagne. Champagne.

00:29:56 - 00:30:00 | Speaker 2:

Okay, because it really was kind of gold. Yeah. All right, but they called it gold.

00:30:00 - 00:32:58 | Speaker 1:

the champagne question number two while we celebrated the best in movies at the oscars the worst actor and actress in films were also celebrated what's the name of the golden award given to honor the performances that flopped the raggy question number three last year's best picture winner at the academy awards was the film coda what movie won best picture at last night's Oscars? Everything, everywhere, all at once. And question number four, dressed in a black t-shirt and ripped jeans, this music superstar surprised Oscar audience last night with a gorgeous rendition of her nominated song from the movie Top Gun Maverick called Hold My Hand. Lady Gaga. And question number five, Shawn Mendes was seen leaving Miley Cyrus's new album listening party with singer Sabrina Carpenter. What Havana singer did Sean previously date? Give me the conveyor. Let's bring the champ back from a soundproof area. We've got ourselves some competition. Oh, yeah. Ariel got all five right, Nikki. That's okay. Got to be perfect. You can do it. Question number one. The carpet wasn't red at last night's Academy Awards. What color was it? Champagne colored. Yeah. Of course, one to one. Question number two. While we celebrated the best movies at the Oscars, the worst actors and actresses in films were also celebrated. What's the name of the Golden Award given to the performances that flopped? You said the Golden Globe for the award that flopped? No, no, I'll read it again for you. While we celebrated the best in movies at the Oscars, the worst actors, actresses, and films were also celebrated. What's the name of the Golden Award given to the performances that flopped? It's called the Golden Raspberry Award. Yes, accept that. Question number three. Last year's Best Picture winner at the Academy Awards was the film Coda. What movie won the Best Picture at last night's Oscars? The movie Everything, Everywhere, Everything, All at Once. No, no, no. She mixed up the title. You mixed it all up. Oh, no. It's everything. Everything, everywhere, all at once. Oh. She didn't say it the first time, though. The first time you said everywhere, everything, all at once. Oh, my God. Technicality. Did we give her that? Because we gave champagne, too. We did. All right. We did. We're even. We're even. You both got a gimme. I think we're even. We're even on that one. You both got a gimme. You both got a gimme on that one. All right? Okay, good. All right. There you go. Both got a gimme on that one because we did give the gold champagne, and we kind of came back. It's a Monday. Always a little forgiven on a Monday. Question number four.

00:32:59 - 00:34:51 | Speaker 1:

You cannot miss any of these remaining questions, though. You've got to get a perfect score. Dressed in a black T-shirt and ripped jeans, this music superstar surprised the Oscar audience last night with a gorgeous rendition of her nominated song from Top Gun Maverick called Hold My Hand. who was it yes no help by the way i feel like i hear somebody in the background no no no no no no who three three seconds yes yes oh my god all right it comes down to this one here oh don't do that question number five got to get it right if you don't get it right nikki this is it. Arielle's coming back tomorrow. If you get it right, you're back tomorrow and we'll hopefully have a smoother 5 at 6.55. I know. Shawn Mendes was seen leaving Miley Cyrus' new album listening party with singer Sabrina Carpenter. What Havana singer did Shawn previously date? Camila Cabello. You are still the champion. Congratulations. There you go. Winner, winner, winner. Listen, I got to say this. This might have been the most interesting 5 at 6.55 when it comes to flubs that we've had in a while. But we did give each one a gimme. All right. We did give each one an opportunity to redo and get more specific. And we have a tie. Tie goes to the champion. Nikki is the champion. Ariel, you're going to win a prize. And you got to come back and play with us sometime. We're going to set you up with tickets to go to Motor City Comic Con. It's happening May 19th through the 21st. at Suburban Collection Showplace. Tickets are available at Suburban Collection Showplace, or you can listen and win them from us tomorrow. Have a great day, okay?

00:34:52 - 00:34:53 | Unknown:

And thank you to, you ready for this? Because it's been more than we've ever had before. Thank you to the tens of thousands of entries that came in for this. So I don't know the exact count as of now, but I know that the first week alone that we had almost surpassed our entire entries from years prior. So that's pretty amazing, isn't it? Every year it gets bigger and bigger. Yep.

00:37:49 - 00:37:50 | Speaker 2:

And every year we get more and more babies.

00:37:51 - 00:38:06 | Speaker 1:

I know. It's amazing. And I think that the reason why it does get bigger and bigger is obviously everybody wants to, you know, to be able to give the gift of life and have a baby and, you know, have their extended family. But I think the success that they see from the families that do win.

00:38:06 - 00:38:11 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I think her oldest is almost nine. Wow. I think from our first year.

00:38:11 - 00:38:12 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's almost a decade.

00:38:12 - 00:38:13 | Speaker 2:

I think we have an almost nine-year-old. Yeah.

00:38:14 - 00:38:33 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. It's pretty crazy. Wait till that kid's getting ready to go to college. And then those people are going to be like, what in the half? Those people on the Mojo in the Morning Show, why did they do that to me? So, again, the voting goes on. How long does the voting go on for? Does it go on?

00:38:33 - 00:38:34 | Speaker 2:

Through this week.

00:38:34 - 00:38:35 | Speaker 1:

Through this week?

00:38:35 - 00:38:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so you've got all this week to pick your faves.

00:38:38 - 00:39:03 | Speaker 1:

All right, and then we pick the three next week. So we'll announce them on the show. Love it, love it, love it. But you can go to, you can actually text the word baby to 95500 if you would like to know more information about IVF Michigan and the Ohio Fertility Center. So you can text baby to 95500 and we'll kick something back to you. I'm sorry. I had Middle Eastern food last night. I had mezza.

00:39:03 - 00:39:07 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my favorite. The almond rice salad is the best.

00:39:07 - 00:39:35 | Speaker 1:

I had too much garlic paste, that white garlic paste, and it's just oozing out of my pores right now. No such thing as too much. Oh, yes, it is. When you are smelling me on Thursday and it's still coming out of me, it gets a little crazy. All right, Mojo on the morning show, I saw something over the weekend on social media that I'm not going to lie to you might have been the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life.

00:39:35 - 00:39:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh, yes.

00:39:36 - 00:40:12 | Speaker 1:

And I saw it on a couple of different spots, but the one that I will promote for you to go to and check it out is On Air Mike, okay? Because you can go to On Air Mike and you can go check this out. Go to Mike's Instagram, become friends with him, and watch the video of him taking his daughter Cecily. to the daddy-daughter dance and her walking down the stairs and the look on her face and how just here And he's playing the music. Oh boy

00:40:14 - 00:40:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh

00:40:19 - 00:40:23 | Speaker 1:

My god the look she gave Oh

00:40:23 - 00:41:12 | Speaker 2:

I almost cried it is normally what I do is I'll go drive around the block and I'll pick her up like a date. So I'll knock on the door and I'll give her her corsage just to kind of show her how it should go traditionally how I believe it should go where the guy gets out and picks up the girl so that's the way we've done it every year well this year she decided that she was going to surprise me with her outfit and the best way to do it was basically like a ballroom elegant entrance and so i had to i had to find uh like ballroom music which it's like harry potter or something and and i had to play it for her as she walked and she orchestrated that whole part of it like she's like i want this and this and this and yeah it was she's getting bigger

00:41:12 - 00:41:36 | Speaker 1:

can i tell you where i where i did tear up i i saw that saw that video and then i saw the um post that Allie, your beautiful wife, put up. And I thought that that post was amazing. Allie wrote, I didn't pick a husband for myself. I picked a father for my children. I couldn't have picked a better man. And also, I have no idea where she gets this dramatic flair from.

00:41:39 - 00:41:57 | Speaker 2:

That's so sweet. I was very, very excited for the dance. and I was very, like, I was tearing up while she's walking down. At the same time, part of me is like, I'm so proud of you right now because you went over the top with this entrance, and it was really cool. It was a lot of fun.

00:41:57 - 00:42:00 | Speaker 1:

How was the daddy-daughter dance? Did you guys have fun?

00:42:00 - 00:42:07 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Yeah, yeah. So we went out to dinner. We went and got hibachi, and then we went to the daddy-daughter dance, and we had a lot of fun.

00:42:07 - 00:42:11 | Speaker 3:

What was the song that everybody just went crazy for? It's still the Bruno song.

00:42:11 - 00:42:21 | Speaker 2:

Is it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's nothing new, but it's always like a little club, Like a mini club Cause that'll go off and everybody goes And starts running to the center

00:42:21 - 00:42:26 | Speaker 1:

And did the hibachi guy Did he do the choo choo train At the hibachi place

00:42:26 - 00:42:28 | Speaker 2:

Well yes

00:42:28 - 00:42:34 | Speaker 1:

Or they do the choo choo train And then they do the volcano Is another one too And they make a heart out of all the onions

00:42:34 - 00:43:05 | Speaker 2:

So they combine that They combine the choo choo train and the volcano And it starts off as the volcano And then it gets out the whistle The onions Then it was fun uh what i like okay let me ask you a question when you go to like a restaurant like that specifically and maybe there's other restaurants like this you're expected especially if you're sitting by the grill you're expected to like almost like become part of the experience right like it's a it's a whole thing you wouldn't just go to that thing go to the hibachi and just sit

00:43:05 - 00:43:12 | Speaker 3:

there right right like you got to catch the the broccoli in your mouth when they flip it to you Yes, yes.

00:43:12 - 00:43:40 | Speaker 2:

So we go, and we sit down, and across this entire grill area is, like, kids and adults, and there's couples and stuff like that. And every single person besides us were just sitting there, and they would come to them with the sake or with the juice or whatever it was, and they would go, mm-mm. And they'd go to the next person, mm-mm-mm, all the way across the table. And I'm like, do people not do that anymore? Like, is that not a thing? And then we were like, heck yeah.

00:43:40 - 00:43:47 | Speaker 1:

People were not having fun. They were just kind of sitting there waiting for their food.

00:43:47 - 00:43:55 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I wanted to be like, go sit at the tables. They have regular tables. You should be over the top trying to catch chicken and broccoli in your mouth.

00:43:55 - 00:44:00 | Speaker 3:

Did they have the pee-pee boy that squirted water into Cecily's mouth? That's my favorite.

00:44:01 - 00:44:41 | Speaker 1:

I still get a kick out of that. Think of that sentence you just said. I'll be honest with you. I get their reasoning of why they don't want to do it, but you're right. They shouldn't just sit there and do it because I will, I'll be perfectly honest with you. I hate sitting at communal tables with other people. I don't like eat. If I wanted to eat with just complete strangers, you know, I would choose to go to a cafeteria or something like that. I don't know. I, I hate it. And I, cause I hate, you know what it is? It reminds me so much of a high school and middle school cafeterias. It reminds me of me not being able to sit next to the cool kids. And I had to go sit next, you know, to somebody else that didn't have a friend, just like I didn't have a friend.

00:44:41 - 00:44:43 | Speaker 2:

But if you go to Hibachi, you know you're going to do that.

00:44:43 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 3:

But it's a gamble. It's a gamble. And, Mike, unfortunately, you lost because you weren't seated at a fun table. And to me, the food, obviously, you're going for the food. But that could also make or break your experience. Because if you have a really fun table, it totally transforms the night.

00:44:59 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 1:

Well, what's worse?

00:45:00 - 00:45:08 | Speaker 5:

The dud table, like Mike had, or the over-the-top, obnoxious SOB sitting at the table? Which one would you rather have?

00:45:08 - 00:45:11 | Speaker 1:

I'd rather have the dud table because then you could at least make it fun.

00:45:11 - 00:45:13 | Speaker 5:

Yes. The dud table's better.

00:45:13 - 00:45:30 | Speaker 6:

We made it. Her and I had fun because we did those things. But I looked over at the over-the-top table, and the over-the-top table is throwing stuff, and it's somebody's birthday, and they're screaming, and Jack or whatever. You got jealous. Oh, yeah. Yeah, they're having – look how much fun they're having.

00:45:30 - 00:45:41 | Speaker 5:

You know what you do? You get up to go to the bathroom, and then you walk your way over there and just see if there's a couple that will switch with you. Excuse me. Excuse me. They told me that this is my – could you imagine?

00:45:41 - 00:45:47 | Speaker 6:

Who goes to Hobarty and just says no? Like, that's the whole point of going there. Why do you say no to any of that?

00:45:47 - 00:45:57 | Speaker 2:

I knew someone that just loves the food and just wanted to go for the food. I'm like, then sit at the bar. That's where – like, you can go. You don't need the whole experience of the Fire Bowl table if you're not going to be a partner.

00:45:57 - 00:46:01 | Speaker 5:

Chelsea and Luke like to door dash from the hibachi place by our house.

00:46:01 - 00:46:02 | Speaker 1:

You can do that?

00:46:02 - 00:46:20 | Speaker 5:

Yes, you can do it from, what's the one on Hagerty? I don't remember the name of it, but they do have great dressing, salad dressing. I don't know what it is, like a ginger dressing that's great. And I said to him, I go, this is not as good as when you go there and you get it made for you right away, especially because it's, you know, taking 25 to 30 minutes to get to the house.

00:46:20 - 00:46:22 | Speaker 1:

We're actually going to hibachi tonight. That's so funny how we're having this conversation.

00:46:22 - 00:46:26 | Speaker 5:

Well, Monday night at hibachi is probably not crazy exciting.

00:46:26 - 00:46:30 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. We're taking somebody out to dinner, and that's where she wants to go. Yeah.

00:46:30 - 00:46:45 | Speaker 5:

See, I also – I would be like that family that's at that table, Mike, that was kind of like low-key. Because when I go to the thing, I always will – I'll go, and I'm like, all right, I've seen this gimmick a couple of times. I'm hungry. Just give me my food.

00:46:45 - 00:46:50 | Speaker 6:

Then go sit at the table. Then don't sit at the grill. I understand. You don't need to be at the grill then. Go sit at the table.

00:46:50 - 00:47:18 | Speaker 5:

All right, so 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Is there anywhere that you have ever gone out to eat where the person or people were just so obnoxious they ruined the fun or they were so dull that they ruined the fun? Because here's Mike wanting to have fun at the hibachi, and he got the boring table. He got the table of people that just wanted, like I do, just to eat. Just give me my food.

00:47:18 - 00:47:38 | Speaker 1:

You know what this is like, kind of? I equate it to when you go to Oconee in the Detroit area and you get Saganaki. And they're like They light that flame and cheese And the waitress goes Opa I'm like no no no no Do it again You need to make it big and fun This is why we got it

00:47:38 - 00:47:40 | Speaker 2:

No one's paying the money to get cheese

00:47:40 - 00:47:46 | Speaker 5:

Or Shannon have you gone to any of the restaurants Where they don't actually light it They light it in the kitchen and bring it out to you

00:47:46 - 00:47:51 | Speaker 1:

Oh I would no Victor's restaurant does it They don't do it at the table

00:47:51 - 00:47:56 | Speaker 5:

It drives me crazy The Lulu's does that.

00:47:56 - 00:47:57 | Speaker 1:

You have to scream Opa.

00:47:58 - 00:48:04 | Speaker 5:

I think they had some insurance rules or something like that. What's going on, Gina? How are you? It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:48:06 - 00:48:16 | Speaker 3:

Hey, so I think my least favorite part about hamachi is not the communal table, but the fact that your clothes smell like hamachi for three months.

00:48:16 - 00:48:23 | Speaker 5:

Amen. I'm like that with BlackRock, too. I love BlackRock, but BlackRock, when I go in there, I smell like the food that I just cooked for about a week.

00:48:24 - 00:48:30 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. It's like eight washes. It's like 50 business days of smelling like hibachi.

00:48:30 - 00:48:32 | Speaker 5:

Mike, do you smell like hibachi still today?

00:48:33 - 00:48:34 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, and cigars.

00:48:34 - 00:48:38 | Speaker 5:

Not the same night, but yes. Cigars? At the daddy-daughter dance?

00:48:38 - 00:48:40 | Speaker 6:

Well, it's a new thing. No, no, that was another night.

00:48:41 - 00:48:51 | Speaker 5:

Could you imagine how great would that be, where the kids get to go inside the school and just dance, you know, and have their fun, and the dads all go outside to a cigar bar.

00:48:51 - 00:49:00 | Speaker 6:

That would be great. That and the only other thing they're missing is maybe just like a glass of wine or something, some sort of beverage at those dances because you can't drink at all at those.

00:49:00 - 00:49:04 | Speaker 2:

Well, yeah. I mean, can't you do one night without? I mean, you're with the little kids.

00:49:05 - 00:49:06 | Speaker 6:

You should sit at the quiet table. How about that?

00:49:08 - 00:49:13 | Speaker 5:

You'd have more fun, though. Just make sure that you're not driving the kids home. What's going on, Lisa?

00:49:15 - 00:49:16 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Modo.

00:49:16 - 00:49:17 | Speaker 5:

Hi. What's happening?

00:49:17 - 00:49:25 | Speaker 4:

hey um you can buy makoto brand dressing at kroger and it tastes just like stop it

00:49:25 - 00:49:31 | Speaker 5:

really the dressing that they sell there that ginger dressing yes it's amazing it's in the

00:49:31 - 00:49:37 | Speaker 4:

refrigerated section you know where like the lettuce and stuff is it's good to know that's

00:49:37 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 5:

interesting yeah people don't understand like a lot of times people will pass up the salads because they want to do the chicken and shrimp and steak or whatever it is but the salad always has the best dressing. I like to like drench my salad in it. Why don't they put that in the little pee-pee boy and shoot it in our mouth? By the way, how often do you think that they're cleaning out the little pee-pee boy? Never.

00:50:00 - 00:50:01 | Speaker 2:

Just water in the pee-pee.

00:50:01 - 00:50:05 | Speaker 4:

I know, but still, it's got to have some kind of a bacteria in it. What's up, Carrie? How you doing?

00:50:06 - 00:50:07 | Speaker 5:

I'm doing great. Happy Monday.

00:50:08 - 00:50:08 | Speaker 4:

Happy Monday.

00:50:09 - 00:50:29 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, Shannon, you made me laugh out loud. And remember, my girlfriends and I at work used to go out to lunch. And if they did not do an exciting OPA, like, oop, I mean, like, really do it, my girlfriend and I would make them redo it. Like, no, that's what I'm waiting for. And I'm not even kidding. Right. Yes. Let them redo it.

00:50:29 - 00:50:36 | Speaker 1:

I mean, that's the calling card of a good Greek Detroit restaurant. It was the, Opa! Yes.

00:50:36 - 00:50:43 | Speaker 5:

My daughter was horrified because I wanted, you know, to make him redo it, not to, you know, with her. And she was like, don't do it.

00:50:44 - 00:50:47 | Speaker 2:

I'm right there with you. Opa, what's up? You lit it.

00:50:47 - 00:51:04 | Speaker 4:

The poor lady's burning her hair off of her arms while you guys are worried about that. It's hot on her. What's up, Wade? Hey, how's it going, guys? Good. We're talking about how there's nothing worse than when you go to a hibachi restaurant and have either a boring table or an obnoxious table. What's yours?

00:51:05 - 00:51:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I think the same thing goes for a blackjack table at the casino. Oh, yes.

00:51:09 - 00:51:11 | Speaker 1:

Or craps. Yep.

00:51:11 - 00:51:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:51:11 - 00:51:12 | Speaker 1:

Got to get a good crowd.

00:51:13 - 00:51:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:51:13 - 00:51:22 | Speaker 4:

Yep. What do you like? Would you rather be with a bunch of people that are, like, boring and, like, just there to try to make money, or would you rather be with the crazy over-the-top people?

00:51:23 - 00:51:27 | Speaker 1:

Oh, crazy over-the-top, pooping, hollering, high-fiving all night. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely.

00:51:27 - 00:51:32 | Speaker 3:

And it hurts less when you lose all your money. The entertainment's worth the money, right?

00:51:32 - 00:51:34 | Speaker 4:

Thank you for the call, buddy. Appreciate it.

00:51:35 - 00:51:35 | Unknown:

Yep.

00:51:36 - 00:51:50 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning. Everywhere you go. On Twitter, Facebook, and IG. At Mojo in the Morning. Hell, we're even on the overhead in Kroger. And find us on the iHeartRadio app. And listen to the Mojo podcast every day.

00:51:51 - 00:52:01 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning. So Shannon was doing it in the restroom at the department store and not realizing people were actually watching.

00:52:01 - 00:53:51 | Speaker 2:

People were actually listening, not watching. So I hosted a fashion show with the kids on Saturday at one of our local department stores. And my little, my sister, Jacqueline, and my little niece, Stella, who is two and a half, came to the fashion show to support Lucy and Smith, who were actually walking the runway, which is hysterical. And so we went out to lunch at the little cafe afterwards. And we're trying, my sister is so desperately trying to potty train Stella and it's just not happening. She is not interested whatsoever. Well, I got up to go to the bathroom during lunch and said to Stella, do you want to come with me? And she did. So we go into like a women's restroom, but it was in the middle of like the clothing section, like right next to where the dressing rooms were. and it's just one toilet, okay, and a sink. And so I take her in there and I sit down and I started peeing and I was asking her about peeing on the potty, which again, she has zero interest in. So I start to sing a song that I made up on the spot about how cool it was to pee on the potty. I love peeing on the potty. It is so cool to pee-pee on the potty. And I just kept adding words. She thought it was hysterical. I kept going and I'm like getting louder and more excited about we love peeing on the potty. Well, I opened the door to leave, and there's a woman standing there just laughing at me. I walked out into the actual store. More people are looking at us and just laughing because everybody heard my now number one pee-pee on the potty song that I was singing. It was echoing in the store? And I didn't realize because when we walked over to this part of the store, nobody was over there. And then, of course, while I'm in there making up a song about pee, everybody decides that that's the area of the store that they need to shop. So they all heard me singing how cool it was to be on the potty

00:53:51 - 00:53:53 | Speaker 4:

That's funny Oh my god

00:53:53 - 00:53:57 | Speaker 2:

The crap you do by the way to help these kids

00:53:57 - 00:54:02 | Speaker 4:

So you brought her in there for her to pee or you to pee and you to pee

00:54:02 - 00:54:14 | Speaker 2:

She wanted to come with me And so we're trying like any chance we get Mike you know this because you're trying to potty train Milo You know any chance you get you try to get them interested Can I tell you something? I thought my song would do it

00:54:14 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 4:

I will never forget this When my dad took me Into the same stall with him While he was dropping a deuce And I was a little kid No, I'm going to be honest with you It was the most traumatizing thing ever That I vowed to myself That I will never make my kids have to Sit there in the same bathroom with me Do you ever remember that? When your parents would take you to the bathroom And you would go to the bathroom And your dad or mom would be Like I remember going in with my mom too And I'm in the bathroom And my mom's like I'm just going to go into this stall You stand right here And I'm a little fat kid sitting outside Everybody's looking at me while I'm standing there I couldn't do Especially with Milo right now I couldn't do a number two and have him in the bathroom Because he wouldn't sit still And he would end up under a stall or running out of

00:55:00 - 00:55:04 | Speaker 1:

of the bathroom, and then I'd be stuck there with my pants at my ankles going, Milo, Milo, Milo, don't run,

00:55:04 - 00:55:10 | Speaker 3:

don't run, don't run. Yeah, I mean, it is risky. It is risky. This had its own door that locked. So I

00:55:10 - 00:55:14 | Speaker 2:

was safe with her. No, no, no. Could you imagine though if Stella went

00:55:14 - 00:55:19 | Speaker 3:

over to the door, opened it and walked out while everybody was standing out there? All those women would be right there.

00:55:19 - 00:55:34 | Speaker 2:

Has that ever happened to any moms when you've taken your kid to go to the bathroom, and you're the one that has to go to the bathroom, not them, and they do something that embarrasses you in in the thing. Mike, didn't you tell a story recently about how Milo was trying to crawl underneath

00:55:34 - 00:55:47 | Speaker 1:

the stall? He did. I was peeing and I went to go grab him and once you're mid-pee, you can't just stop. Pee's going everywhere and I'm trying to grab my peed all over my shoes. Mess. Oh my god.

00:55:47 - 00:55:59 | Speaker 3:

Don't you feel judged when these little people are just standing there staring at you as you're peeing? What are you looking at? Is it my stomach? Are my thighs like cellulity? What are you judging?

00:56:00 - 00:56:07 | Speaker 1:

Even when the dog's looking at me peeing, it's like, wow, what are you doing? You poop in the grass. I'm using the toilet. Those little eyes are just full of judgment.

00:56:09 - 00:56:46 | Speaker 2:

I'm not kidding you. When my dad took me into the bathroom and I remember it was John's Barbershop, which is the barbershop that he used to go to and take us to go get our haircuts. My dad was going to the, he's going to John. I see my dad's hairy legs with his pants around his ankles and him You know I'm like oh my god God love you dad But please don't do that And then make your son have to sit there in there with you While you're finishing up the whole damn thing 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 Good morning Hi it's Mojo in the morning

00:56:46 - 00:57:05 | Speaker 6:

Hi I have a funny story About bathroom stalls My niece when she was probably I don't know 3 or 4 was changing with her dad in a bathroom and changing out of her bathing suit and she looked up at her dad and said, Ew, Daddy, you have a tail.

00:57:09 - 00:57:10 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning, what's up, Donna?

00:57:11 - 00:57:13 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Mojo, how you guys doing?

00:57:13 - 00:57:14 | Speaker 2:

We're good, what's up?

00:57:15 - 00:57:34 | Speaker 4:

Hey, listen, so I was taking my son, he's like 35 now, I was taking him into the bathroom with me at Target. I had to go in the stall because we were all the ones there. So I have been teaching him to potty train Using the correct language And he goes, so I go to squat And he goes, mommy, he was mortified Where's your penis? I can't believe it

00:57:34 - 00:57:43 | Speaker 5:

Oh, you're a penis Everybody saw it was just like Snickering at me I was mortified I was so embarrassed

00:57:43 - 00:57:49 | Speaker 2:

That's funny What's going on, Ryan? How are you? It's Mojo in the morning

00:57:49 - 00:58:19 | Speaker 8:

Good morning, guys But, you know, Joanne Fabrics, I think they put something in the air to make you shart in your pants. And I had my four-year-old stepson, and I was, like, new to the stepmom thing. And I'm like, you've got to come in the bathroom with me. Like, I farted, and I didn't just fart. And I had to change my underwear. And he came out to Joanne Fabrics and was, like, gagging. And he was like, it stinks. She had to throw her underwear away in there. Oh, no.

00:58:19 - 00:58:21 | Speaker 2:

He's telling everybody this?

00:58:22 - 00:58:23 | Speaker 8:

Everybody in the store.

00:58:24 - 00:58:26 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. My goodness.

00:58:27 - 00:58:38 | Speaker 2:

There is something. You bring up a really good point, Ryan. There are certain stores that when you go into them, they must cause you to get so excited or something that it causes your digestive system.

00:58:38 - 00:58:41 | Speaker 3:

Home Goods, Marshalls, TJ Maxx. All of them. Seriously.

00:58:41 - 00:58:57 | Speaker 2:

I always got to pee in Home Depot and Lowe's. And that's the other one, too. That's another one. And maybe it was back in the day. Remember Home Depot used to sell hot dogs at the front of the store? I'm still pissed they don't anymore. Maybe it was the hot dog that I ate at the Home Depot that caused me to get that way. What's up, Lisa? It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:58:58 - 00:59:27 | Speaker 7:

Speaking of Home Depot and hot dogs, we were actually at a Lowe's bathroom, and my daughter and I went in to use it. And we're in the stall together, and the lady next to us farted extremely loud. And my daughter, with no filter, a little kid, says, Ew, Mama, she nasty. And I was so mortified. I had to, like, grab her out and just leave the store.

00:59:29 - 00:59:31 | Speaker 2:

Did you even look up to see what she looked like?

00:59:31 - 00:59:36 | Speaker 7:

I just looked at her shoes to make sure, like, we did not cross paths.

00:59:39 - 00:59:41 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for the call. Take care of yourself, Lisa.

00:59:42 - 00:59:46 | Speaker 7:

Bye-bye. Thanks. Motor in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:59:46 - 01:00:13 | Speaker 2:

A lot of stuff to talk about this morning. we have second date update also coming up today first Shannon with our 730 dirty right now and if you're listening to us live thank you so much for having us on 104.5 Well, Jamie Lee Curtis had the crowd going when she won her very first Oscar last night. Everyone except Angela Bassett.

01:00:14 - 01:00:14 | Speaker 6:

Oh, jeez.

01:00:14 - 01:00:18 | Speaker 2:

She just sat in her chair with a scowl.

01:00:18 - 01:00:34 | Speaker 3:

To all of the people who have supported the genre movies that I have made for all these years, the thousands and hundreds of thousands of people. We just won an Oscar!

01:00:34 - 01:01:10 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, both were nominated for Best Supporting Actress for their roles, but when it was announced that Jamie Lee won for Everything Everywhere All at Once, Angela was, whoop, she seemed less than thrilled, and it was apparent. Didn't even stand up to clap like everybody else did while seated in the front row. Twitter had thoughts, lots of comments like this one. Regardless of who won that Oscar, Angela Bassett could have clapped for the winner. Now, some fans were just as upset over Angela's upset. Oh, yeah. With one fan tweeting, Angela Bassett did the thing and she still gets snubbed. Well, I wanted to point out. So very divided.

01:01:11 - 01:01:20 | Speaker 4:

I think both of those actresses were being awarded for a life body of work because everybody in Hollywood loves them. They both have had incredible roles and they've both been ignored for a long time.

01:01:20 - 01:01:21 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah.

01:01:21 - 01:01:38 | Speaker 4:

Angela Bassett should have gotten something for playing Tina Turner back in the day or for how Stella got her groove back or Malcolm X. Both of those, yeah. So, like, she was overlooked for a long time, so I think a lot of people thought this was going to be the one. But at least clap. At least clap. If everybody in the place is clapping, you're sitting and you're not clapping. You know the cameras are going to catch you at the wrong time.

01:01:38 - 01:01:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, everything, everywhere, all at once, which has been dominating awards season, took on Best Picture along with Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh, Best Supporting Actor for former Child Star, Kay Huey Kwan, and Best Supporting Actress, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay. I have to play this speech because he was just so emotional.

01:01:57 - 01:02:30 | Speaker 1:

I owe everything to the love of my life. My wife, Echo, who month after month, year after year for 20 years, told me that one day, one day, my time will come. Dreams are something you have to believe in. I almost gave up on mine To all of you out there Please keep your dreams alive

01:02:30 - 01:02:49 | Speaker 6:

I didn't know until I heard Jimmy Kimmel mention this during his monologue But that he And Brandon Frazier both starred in Encino Man together back in the day Do you remember, did you ever watch Encino Man? One of the worst movies ever In the history of movies And now both those guys end up winning an Oscar On the same night

01:02:49 - 01:03:16 | Speaker 4:

So Kiho Kwan was the little boy in Indiana Jones in the Temple of Doom and then the little boy in the Goonies and then he kind of stopped acting for over 20 years because he just said there were no roles that were of substance for a young Asian boy to act in and he got so frustrated he gave up for a while and he was like consulting on stunting and doing behind the scenes stuff for years but he never wanted to act again and it was only through being pulled into, they convinced him to be in this movie and he was so good.

01:03:16 - 01:03:18 | Speaker 6:

His acceptance speech definitely had me teared up.

01:03:18 - 01:03:24 | Speaker 2:

Oh my gosh. A full winner's list on the Dirty Page at mojointhemorning.com. Jimmy Kimmel did a great job hosting, by the way.

01:03:24 - 01:03:57 | Speaker 5:

We want you to have fun. We want you to feel safe. And most importantly, we want me to feel safe. So we have strict policies in place. If anyone in this theater commits an act of violence at any point during the show, you will be awarded the Oscar for Best Actor and permitted to give a 19-minute long speech. No, but seriously, the Academy has a crisis team in place. If anything unpredictable or violent happens during the ceremony, just do what you did last year. Nothing.

01:03:58 - 01:04:47 | Speaker 2:

Shawn Mendes and Sabrina Carpenter spotted leaving Miley Cyrus' new album, Listening Party, in Beverly Hills together over the weekend. Feeling those rumors that something more than friends is going on between the two of them. They were seen leaving the Gucci store. That's where the party was together. Got into the same car. It's always a sign. You can see photos and videos on the dirty page at midgermorning.com. And we've got the 2023 March Madness Field, Kansas. The number one seed in the West region will be looking to become the first team to repeat as national championship, national champions, excuse me, since the Gators won in both 2006 and 2007. The other number one seeds are Alabama, Houston, and Purdue. I know that the final four set for April 1st in Houston.

01:04:47 - 01:05:00 | Speaker 6:

Tom Izzo made the Final Four for, I believe, the 25th year in a row, season in a row, which is a record for a coach to get a team there, 25 years in a row. And...

01:05:00 - 01:05:04 | Speaker 1:

Michigan will be playing Toledo in the NIT. That's always fun.

01:05:04 - 01:05:20 | Speaker 3:

And Megan Thee Stallion headlining day one of the March Madness Music Festival in Houston. Lil Nas X, Maggie Rogers also playing. Tim McGraw, Keith Urban going to be playing as well. Lots of superstars. For all of today's Dirty, check out that Dirty page on thedreamthemorning.com.

01:05:25 - 01:05:30 | Speaker 4:

Celebrity Dirt, directly from the source. This is Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:05:30 - 01:05:34 | Speaker 1:

I'm being handed a note here that our phone lines aren't working right now.

01:05:35 - 01:05:35 | Speaker 2:

Oh, perfect.

01:05:36 - 01:05:37 | Speaker 1:

Why is that? I wonder why that is.

01:05:37 - 01:05:42 | Speaker 2:

We had issues with them last week, too. Really? Yeah. People would call in and they would just get a recording.

01:05:42 - 01:06:05 | Speaker 1:

Interesting. Well, oh, starting to ring now. All right, so 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. We'll be back with a winner for the tickets that we're giving away, The tickets to go see Logic and Juicy J. And we'll also be back with a phone scam in just moments. Don't go anywhere. If you do, we'll never talk to you ever again.

01:06:06 - 01:06:14 | Speaker 4:

Unknown caller? Only a sucker would answer. Another world-famous phone scam happens at 7.50 on Mojo in the Morning.

01:06:14 - 01:06:19 | Speaker 3:

Ladies and gentlemen. Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning. And now.

01:06:19 - 01:06:23 | Speaker 4:

Back to Mojo in the Morning. Your call may be monitored or recorded.

01:06:23 - 01:07:43 | Speaker 1:

All right, Mojo in the morning show. We are giving you a chance to win some concert tickets, and the winner is Michelle. Michelle? Good morning, Mojo. Hello there, Michelle. Happy Monday. Well, you know, is it really? Sure, sure it is. I guess for you. It's a little bit closer to Friday. Yeah, you know what? Because also you won tickets too, congratulations to you. We're going to set you up with tickets. You're going to go see Logic and Juicy J. Hang on the phone for just one second. We'll get you a pair of tickets. Logic, Juicy J, going to be performing at the Fox Theater in downtown Detroit. And you got a pair of tickets. Thanks, Mojo. Appreciate it. Have a great one. Thanks for listening to us and having us on. So Spike is running between studios. And when he runs between studios, he does get the podcast up for us while the show's going on. We've noticed that we've done this before. or we've done it recently in the last like a few months and the reason we've done it is because we realized that a lot of people you know aren't waking up as early as they used to but we don't want them to have to wait until you know noon to listen to the entire show well one thing is i've noticed with him is that every time that he runs to the back and forth he brings his phone with him

01:07:43 - 01:07:50 | Speaker 3:

and i think he's got a phone call to make i know it's the same thing you grab your phone every And they're only going out of the room for a minute or so.

01:07:50 - 01:07:58 | Speaker 1:

Then I overheard him talk about being made fun of by his family for something, and I go, two and two equals Spike. What's going on?

01:07:58 - 01:08:16 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, guilty as charged. Well, there's two reasons I grab the phone to go out. One, if I'm out of the room, I don't want it to ring on the air. So I always want to make sure I have the phone with me to silence it. But the real big reason that you heard, and I'll confess it's true, is that I want to make sure those steps count when I'm running down the hall to the other. Are you serious?

01:08:17 - 01:08:21 | Speaker 3:

For who? For you? Or is your girlfriend monitoring? For me.

01:08:22 - 01:09:08 | Speaker 2:

Because when I'm running back and forth to the podcast studio and doing all the production and the audio, that's extra steps all morning. So if I'm moving, I should get counts for moving. Because the thing is, I've been trying to get more exercise and work out. I went to Planet Fitness again this weekend and been trying to keep up on that. But I want credit for all the steps. When I look at my health app on my iPhone, I want to make sure it's accurate. So the reason they're making fun of me at home, my girls notice that if I go out to the mailbox to get the mail, I take my phone with me. If I'm running upstairs to get my shoes, I always grab my phone first. And listen, that could add up to an extra 60 steps counted on my phone. So I want every step to count. You don't have an Apple Watch?

01:09:08 - 01:09:09 | Speaker 3:

That's what I was going to say.

01:09:09 - 01:09:29 | Speaker 2:

I don't wear it all the time. So I have to have my phone on me. And what I realized was when I'm at Planet Fitness, a lot of times I'll put my phone on the treadmill so I can just listen to music or whatever. And I finally realized, wait a minute, I need to be holding that thing when I'm running. Why am I resting it?

01:09:30 - 01:09:32 | Speaker 3:

Didn't you just get a halo?

01:09:33 - 01:09:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Planet Fitness gave us the halos for the Black Card membership. Planet Fitness just gave you a halo. What is it?

01:09:39 - 01:09:50 | Speaker 1:

It's Amazon's version of the Apple Watch without the actual time. It just keeps track of all your health stuff. It's great. It's been keeping track of my sleeping, too.

01:09:52 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 2:

Let me tell you what I thought about when Planet Fitness gave us the halos last week, which I got to set mine up. Thank you, Brian. First thing I...

01:10:00 - 01:10:07 | Speaker 3:

thought of was I wonder if I hooked this up to Dublin's collar when he's running around the house has anyone ever done that?

01:10:07 - 01:10:33 | Speaker 2:

You get your dog extra steps? That's what you need to do if you're getting judged by your thing remember when I did that challenge back in the day like a year and a half ago or whatever it was with Tony our boss and Megan and Ellen and those guys there was a rule stipulation in there that you could not attach it to an animal or you would be disqualified because Tony He lives on a farm, and he's got, like, goats. And I've got two dogs.

01:10:33 - 01:10:35 | Speaker 3:

So they actually put it in the rules.

01:10:35 - 01:10:38 | Speaker 2:

And Megan's got Coraline, although she says Coraline walks backwards.

01:10:39 - 01:10:52 | Speaker 3:

What is your goal, Spike? Just more than the last day or the last week because I was declining. As winter set in, I was not getting any. I'm laying on the couch all day.

01:10:52 - 01:10:54 | Speaker 2:

Which day is the worst for you? Is it Monday?

01:10:54 - 01:10:55 | Speaker 3:

Monday and Tuesday.

01:10:55 - 01:10:55 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:10:55 - 01:11:02 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Monday and Tuesday are the worst. We have a lot to do at work. They're long days. I get home, I'm exhausted, so I don't, I crash on the couch.

01:11:03 - 01:11:11 | Speaker 2:

I get my rings on my Apple Watch, so I do that, too. If my rings don't get complete, and my rings never get complete, it seems like, on a Sunday or on a Monday.

01:11:11 - 01:11:36 | Speaker 3:

Well, with the most recent update that iPhone did, they all of a sudden reactivated those notifications that I silenced. And then the health apps tell me, well, Spike, there's still time for you to complete your ring, and I'm laying in bed. It's 1030 at night. You can almost close it. it's never ever told me that congratulations you closed a ring or you did it and i'm like there's no way possible every day i'm this close you just need a few more steps but yet you've never told

01:11:36 - 01:11:41 | Speaker 2:

me i've ever accomplished it so it's true it's not very it's just encouraging you but it never

01:11:41 - 01:12:10 | Speaker 3:

congratulates you when i went to los angeles last month we walked like 20 000 steps i mean we walked the entire we did a tour from sunup to sundown we walked everywhere we said we're not ubering We literally walked miles I went at the end of the night To lay down And my stupid phone said Congratulations, you're almost there I'm like, you can go to dirty hell I walked 20,000 steps Don't tell me I'm almost there My calves hurt

01:12:10 - 01:12:15 | Speaker 2:

He's a deviant little bitch What's up Amanda? How you doing?

01:12:15 - 01:12:17 | Speaker 1:

I'm good, how are you?

01:12:17 - 01:12:22 | Speaker 2:

Good, Spike is trying to work on his steps here So he's got his phone with him Always in his hand

01:12:22 - 01:12:34 | Speaker 1:

Well, the phone might be a little bit more Accurate than the Apple Watch But the Apple Watch steps are not accurate I sit down at a desk All day long And I still manage to hit my stand goal

01:12:34 - 01:12:41 | Speaker 2:

Wait a second What kind of desk are you at? I want to sit at your desk You have a defective watch

01:12:41 - 01:12:51 | Speaker 1:

There must be something This is my second watch And it's actually the iPhone Ultra watch And I still managed To hit my stand goal

01:12:51 - 01:13:03 | Speaker 2:

Listen to this texter here at 95500. I was sick last week and didn't want to ruin my 153-day moving streak, so I put the Apple Watch on my son.

01:13:05 - 01:13:06 | Speaker 3:

I admire that.

01:13:06 - 01:13:07 | Speaker 2:

I like that.

01:13:08 - 01:13:11 | Speaker 3:

Or people are putting it on their ceiling fans.

01:13:12 - 01:13:24 | Speaker 2:

That is so creative. That is very creative. Actually, I was thinking about this. When you do a phone scam, it's usually your energy level comes up, and you like to stand and move around. Keep your phone in your hand while you're doing this phone scam.

01:13:24 - 01:13:27 | Speaker 3:

Don't worry, I hold it. If I go to the bathroom, I take my phone with me.

01:13:27 - 01:13:33 | Speaker 2:

Do you also carry it around and hold it when you're... When I'm what? You know, you get steps off of that, too.

01:13:34 - 01:13:34 | Unknown:

I think you would.

01:13:34 - 01:13:38 | Speaker 3:

No, I need both hands. Bragger.

01:13:40 - 01:13:54 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning is your home of the phone scams. Adam and his friends are taking a day off for work to go drinking for St. Patrick's Day. They're going to come out with us. spike is going to call and bust him and pretend to be his boss who found out about his plans

01:13:54 - 01:15:14 | Speaker 3:

it's a mojo in the morning phone scam you're home with the phone scams i'm about to disrespect you right now this is mojo in the morning hello hello is this adam yeah this is adam hi adam my name is michael collins i'm the human resources director who started at the beginning of this year i don't think we've had a chance to meet in person yet. How are you? I'm good. I'm good. How are you doing? Good. You're probably confused, and I apologize for calling your cell phone. I know we wouldn't be able to reach you as quickly if I went through the office channel, so I want to make sure I got in touch with you right away. Do you have about two minutes to talk? Yeah, sure. Listen, just a reminder, you're 28 years old. What do you mean? You're an adult now, and you can get hammered anytime you want. You don't need a holiday. You hear what I'm saying? There's other ways to show your St. Patrick's Day spirit than getting polluted by noon on a work day. I don't understand. Okay, let's back up. You're allowed to take a vacation day to celebrate whatever you like. like or sit on the couch all day but the problem here within and the reason for my phone call is because you didn't use a vacation day you called in sick in advance so what are you planning on

01:15:14 - 01:15:21 | Speaker 4:

coming down with something at the end of the week oh i have a doctor's appointment on that day

01:15:21 - 01:15:31 | Speaker 3:

at the pub i've been told by two different people that must not like you very much that you're actually taking the day off to go drinking for st patrick's day with friends that's not what sick

01:15:31 - 01:15:37 | Speaker 4:

days are for who told you that i'm having a doctor's appointment are you having them do a

01:15:37 - 01:16:21 | Speaker 3:

dna test no no your last name is had i mean as far as i know you're not irish correct i'm not what about theresa while you're out enjoying green beer and bad decisions she's covering your whole department like a dedicated worker uh theresa's cool she's yeah she's a model employee if you ask me you didn't take a vacation day for this friday so come put in your eight hours go get a shamrock shake on your lunch break and call it a day got it i already took the sick day right right because you're planning on being sick listen you either bring in proper documentation to prove you were being medically treated or get your ass in here at 8.30 a.m.? Do you understand what I'm saying?

01:16:23 - 01:16:28 | Speaker 4:

I talked to Brett, my manager, and he said, it's fine. I have sick days. Yeah.

01:16:29 - 01:16:31 | Speaker 3:

Did you talk to Lois in accounts receivable?

01:16:32 - 01:16:34 | Speaker 4:

I don't even know who that is.

01:16:34 - 01:16:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. You never met her because she got fired after trying to introduce Margarita Fridays on the third floor. Seems like you're not taking your job seriously that you're arguing with me over how you can take a sick day. And then I feel like we're going to have the same conversation on 420 with you, maybe with Cinco de Mayo. Do you like this job or do you not like this job?

01:16:54 - 01:17:00 | Speaker 4:

I like my job. I spoke to Brett and he said that everything was fine, that I could take a sick day.

01:17:00 - 01:17:20 | Speaker 3:

Brett doesn't get to change company policy. I'll tell you what, how about we just meet at the bar and drink to your health? We don't have to worry about a sick day. It is St. Patrick's Day, Adam. Yeah, I know. Then you should definitely be drinking with me and with all of us here. This is Spike from Mojo on the Morning Show. You've just been the victim of a phone scam.

01:17:21 - 01:17:23 | Speaker 4:

I did not see that coming.

01:17:27 - 01:17:30 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. We heard you and a whole crew are coming down to drink with us.

01:17:31 - 01:17:32 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it depends.

01:17:32 - 01:17:36 | Speaker 3:

Are we on the radio right now? Right, yeah. I don't want to blow your cover.

01:17:38 - 01:18:07 | Speaker 1:

We will, we will scam you. If I could say anything I wanted to, I'd say that was f***ing funny s*** right there. I don't care who you are. It's the home of the world-famous phone scams, Mojo in the Morning. Make the noise for Mojo. Fight Shannon for Mojo in the Morning.

And they're all in June and July. Yes.

01:20:28 - 01:20:30 | Speaker 3:

He's coming to Ford Field

01:20:38 - 01:20:49 | Speaker 2:

Yeah and this is actually You bring up a really good point with With all the big concerts but also That I think Drake could probably sell out Even bigger than Little Caesars so it's going to go fast

01:20:49 - 01:21:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah I wonder I didn't look at the tour dates Yet because they just announced them but I wonder If they're going to do multiple dates in each city Like if one sells out will they add another because he's definitely capable of selling that venue out more than once.

01:21:00 - 01:21:15 | Speaker 2:

01:22:38 - 01:22:39 | Unknown:

Thank you.

01:22:40 - 01:22:41 | Speaker 2:

What are you doing up, Sora?

01:22:42 - 01:22:45 | Speaker 4:

I have class at 830, so I'm on my way to class.

01:22:45 - 01:22:46 | Speaker 2:

Where do you go to school?

01:22:47 - 01:22:48 | Speaker 4:

The University of Toledo.

01:22:49 - 01:22:50 | Speaker 2:

We love that.

01:22:50 - 01:22:52 | Speaker 3:

Aren't you glad you turned us on this morning when you woke up?

01:22:52 - 01:22:54 | Speaker 4:

I am so glad. Thank you.

01:22:55 - 01:23:07 | Speaker 2:

Congratulations to you. You got a pair of tickets. You're going to see Drake. It's all a blur tour with 21 Savage. July the 8th, 2023, Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Congratulations to you.

01:23:08 - 01:23:08 | Speaker 4:

Thank you.

01:23:08 - 01:23:51 | Speaker 2:

Thanks, Sarah. Thanks for having us on Kiss. By the way, Megan's off today, so people are wondering where Megan is. I'm like, where's Megan? Where's Megan? She's off today because that girl was partying over the weekend. Oh, my goodness. She was she and and my wife went out drinking on Friday night. I wasn't even in Chicago at the time. And in Chelsea said, oh, my God, she goes, we had so much fun. And then the next night we all went out drinking and EJ came to town and everything. And then Megan's like, just a reminder, you can't talk about anything that we did this weekend until I come back on Tuesday. because I don't want to have any of my prepped used.

01:23:52 - 01:23:54 | Speaker 3:

Well, did we check to see if she even got back to Ohio?

01:23:55 - 01:23:57 | Speaker 2:

She has not. No, she's not even back. She's not leaving until today.

01:23:57 - 01:23:58 | Speaker 3:

Oh, so she stayed with Ellen. Okay.

01:23:58 - 01:24:49 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so she stayed, and she was going to stay. I think she's driving back. She'll be on our conference call that we have today. We have a show conference call that we do on Mondays. So she'll be on the call. But here's what I was thinking for tomorrow, and if you guys would kindly do me a favor and be part of this little thing, these little shenanigans, when she brings something up tomorrow on the air, will you guys say, oh, Mojo talked about that yesterday? Oh, my God, yes. Because she will get so mad. Because there was something that happened at Ellen's apartment during the St. Patrick's Day party thing on Saturday that she said I was not allowed to talk about. And then there was another thing that I was going to put in my prep that she specifically reached out to me on text and said, do not talk about this. And I said, well, wait a second. These all happened when I was there. Why can't I bring it? And I'm one of the people that's coming into work on Monday.

01:24:49 - 01:25:00 | Speaker 3:

You know what I mean? Because I was going to take off this coming Monday. And then I thought, well, that's dumb because we're all going to come back and want to talk about our weekend together, hanging out at all these St. Patrick's Day.

01:25:00 - 01:25:24 | Speaker 5:

parties and i'm gonna miss out yeah yeah see we have to it we have to rack our brains for things to talk to you guys about and sometimes because we have so much that we talk about with little interruptions you know we do this hour commercial free between you know seven and uh and 8 30 and stuff so it gets to be very difficult to try to come up with more and more things to talk about and try to be fresh and new and all the rest of that stuff but it's actually really easy when

01:25:24 - 01:25:28 | Speaker 2:

we're all hanging out together oh it's great so much stuff that happens but this is the thing

01:25:28 - 01:26:20 | Speaker 5:

though we have to take ownership of it at the the thing and listeners get weirded with this when at Irish on Ionia we'll all be hanging out and we'll be like alcohol dibs I'm writing this down and so she was doing that on on Saturday night and then I said to her I go well here's the deal I'm gonna go and I'm gonna talk about it all on Monday since you're taking the day off from work so tomorrow do me a favor if Megan brings up anything on the air just tell her mojo already talked about it yesterday um speaking of that lydia coming in studio here right now lydia screening the calls here for you at 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 um lydia with the topic this morning of the weirdest spot that you've eaten and lydia where is this where you've eaten

01:26:20 - 01:26:42 | Speaker 1:

are you are you calling somebody out no i'm gonna call out one of the baristas at starbucks even though I love all of my fellow baristas, I was playing girlfriend this past weekend with gas station guy. So we aren't together yet. Just an update. Wait, but you were playing girlfriend? Yeah, like I was helping him study and I was just being a good girlfriend that's not a girlfriend yet.

01:26:42 - 01:26:53 | Speaker 5:

I always like that. He won't officially call you girlfriend, but you guys occasionally will hang with each other so much on a weekend or an evening that you call it playing girlfriend.

01:26:53 - 01:28:01 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it was funny because yesterday we were at Target and he ran into a family friend he's like yeah this is my girl lydia and i'm like you're what you're what so not girlfriend his girl he calls you his girl that's at least somewhat good girl yeah i don't know um okay so you're playing girlfriend and you were going to starbucks and i had to pee so bad like we were studying for a couple hours and i really had to go to the bathroom so starbucks has two bathrooms and they're unisex and i was knocking on both doors because they were locked and it sounded like someone was in one of them and the other one had the lights off and the door was locked so I went to go ask a barista I was like is this door like supposed to be locked to this bathroom like is it public and she's like no let me open it for you so she's opening it for me and as she opens the door she whispers to me and she's like I eat my lunch in here so I like to lock the door to make sure nobody else uses this bathroom But I didn't want to make her feel bad, because what if she didn't have any, like, friends at work that ate lunch with her? I was thinking so many things.

01:28:01 - 01:28:05 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, where do they typically eat? But still, I would go sit in my car or something. I was going to say, car, 100%.

01:28:05 - 01:28:08 | Speaker 1:

But it's a Starbucks. You can sit at a table, you know? Right.

01:28:09 - 01:28:14 | Speaker 4:

But if people know she works there, they'll bother her during her lunch break, so I get that.

01:28:14 - 01:28:22 | Speaker 5:

But think about this, guys. She's smart. She locks the door to keep it clean so it's sanitary because nobody's allowed to actually go into the thing.

01:28:22 - 01:28:29 | Speaker 3:

That's so gross. Plus, you've got people knocking like Lydia was the whole time you were eating your lunch. That would be just not fun. I bet you. Yeah.

01:28:30 - 01:28:57 | Speaker 5:

All right. I bet you, and you have to call us up. I know that there's many of you guys that listen to us in factories. I bet you a lot of factory people eat in the bathroom. They go to the bathroom to go eat. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. You have to call us up and you have to tell us if you've ever eaten in the bathroom. I have been called gross by you guys before because I have said that there have been times where I have enjoyed like a power bar on the toilet.

01:28:58 - 01:29:05 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I'm with you. I hope I was never one to make fun of you because I'll do that sometimes too. I mean, if I'm in the middle of eating something and you've got to go finish it.

01:29:05 - 01:29:18 | Speaker 5:

Chelsea makes fun of me because I bring water in with me to the bathroom. And she's like, where are you going? I go, I'm going to the bathroom. She goes, well, why are you bringing a big bottle of water? Like, I'll go grab it out of the refrigerator. And I said, well, because I want to hydrate. She goes, you're hydrating.

01:29:18 - 01:29:19 | Speaker 4:

How long are you going to be in there?

01:29:20 - 01:30:00 | Speaker 5:

I like to sit in there for a long period of time. I mean, we talked about that with FaceTiming on the toilet and stuff. But sometimes that's your only quiet time that you get. It's true. So I was away for like four days last week. And there was nothing greater than when we drove back in from Chicago, pulling in my driveway. And I said, guys, I'm going to the bathroom. I love my toilet. my toilet is the greatest toilet ever and it's comforting to me and for some reason after you go away and you're gone for a couple of days your digestive system knows your home and it does loose it just kind of like opens all up and it's good because it doesn't i can't hotel poop i have a hard time doing that what's up

01:30:00 - 01:30:27 | Speaker 4:

uh erica oh yeah hey good morning guys what's happening um hey so i used to do security and i'm not gonna say where but i had to do my rounds and i would see them eating in the locker room which are also the bathroom is this like a factory that i was talking about yeah yeah really a food factory yeah i'm gonna hope nobody's listening oh crap that's gonna

01:30:27 - 01:30:32 | Speaker 3:

give it away okay but you know what though you need to have a nice quiet place they did they

01:30:32 - 01:31:02 | Speaker 4:

not have a cafeteria for them to go eat at it wasn't quiet no they had a huge they have a huge cafeteria i mean obviously there isn't someone in there who's pre-making their meals for them so it's nice and warm yeah but no it's a spacious cafeteria where you can sit by yourself and not be bothered by somebody but no people would really go eat in the locker room and i would case them, I'd be like, uh, that's a little nasty. I tried to report it, but you know, they just kept doing it. Thank you for the

01:31:02 - 01:31:18 | Speaker 3:

call. Thanks for calling them out. Diane, what's going on? We're talking about eating in the toilet. Oh, we lost Diane. Diane says that she eats sandwiches in the toilet every now and again. What's happening, Jen? How are you? Hi, good morning. Good morning. It's not unusual to eat on the toilet.

01:31:20 - 01:31:22 | Speaker 5:

I don't think it's unusual.

01:31:22 - 01:31:24 | Speaker 3:

And what do you do for a living?

01:31:25 - 01:31:35 | Speaker 5:

Well, I just got a different position, but I used to work as a nursing assistant for, like, 24 years.

01:31:35 - 01:31:35 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

01:31:36 - 01:32:01 | Speaker 5:

And the nurses are so busy, they can't take a break. And so when they go into that bathroom, that's their break time. Like, that's the only chance they get by themselves. If you go in the break room, somebody's bugging you. Your phone's ringing. Somebody needs something. The break rooms are right there by the nurse's station. So, yeah, that's the only time they get a break is the bathrooms. I think they should have vending machines in their forum.

01:32:02 - 01:32:09 | Speaker 1:

That would be great. At least in a hospital, I would think that it would be more sanitary than, like, a Starbucks or the first try of the factory.

01:32:09 - 01:32:15 | Speaker 3:

Right? Yeah. Kim doesn't just eat in the toilet. What else do you do, Kim?

01:32:16 - 01:32:25 | Speaker 8:

Okay. Picture this. After a long day of work, you get home, you put the kids to bed, and you have some wine in the bathroom. Oh, yeah. Oh, it is heaven.

01:32:25 - 01:32:26 | Speaker 3:

Your bathroom wine.

01:32:28 - 01:32:30 | Speaker 8:

It's just like the best thing in the world.

01:32:30 - 01:32:32 | Speaker 3:

Have a nice one, just, you know.

01:32:33 - 01:32:42 | Speaker 1:

Once I have that glass of wine in my hand, it does not leave my hand. I don't care where I'm going. I'll do laundry one-handed. But you are clutching it because it's so necessary.

01:32:42 - 01:32:47 | Speaker 3:

Spike has charcuterie boards in his shower with him.

01:32:47 - 01:32:49 | Speaker 2:

Not all the time, just once or twice.

01:32:49 - 01:32:52 | Speaker 3:

Do you ever do anything in the toilet, though? No, no, no, no, no.

01:32:52 - 01:32:52 | Speaker 2:

That's not sanitary.

01:32:53 - 01:32:54 | Speaker 3:

What's going on, Michelle?

01:32:55 - 01:32:56 | Speaker 6:

Hi, good morning.

01:32:56 - 01:32:57 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. What's happening?

01:32:59 - 01:33:12 | Speaker 6:

So I used to work at Amazon, and they have a ginormous cafeteria as well. And I already don't really like people that much, so, like, working at Amazon was pushing it. Right.

01:33:12 - 01:33:32 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to dump that. I'm going to dump that. I'm so sorry. By the way, that just came out, like, so naturally for you. You would almost spend your entire blanks effing on the toilet. Well, not effing on the toilet, but you were about ready to call it the effing toilet. But, okay, so you.

01:33:32 - 01:33:42 | Speaker 6:

Yes, I would sit on my phone and sit on TikTok, check my Facebook. I would just sit there by myself. And it was the most relaxing breaks I would ever have.

01:33:43 - 01:33:56 | Speaker 3:

Sometimes you need it, right? Sometimes you need to have a little relaxation. Julie, you make Ford vehicles, and you guys eat inside the vehicles? No, no. I was a tourist, though.

01:33:56 - 01:34:30 | Speaker 7:

I brought my cousins from Alabama. We took the Ford Rouge factory tour about a year and a half ago. We're walking around that upper platform, and our guide says, oh, it's their break now. There's nothing to see. We'll circle back around. And we glanced down, there's like groups of four and five of them eating in the cars that they're creating. Really? These are the ones that are nearly done. They get climbed in the back. They had pizza boxes and stuff back there having lunch. And I had to chuckle. I thought I've never bought a brand new car and thought of how somebody might have dined in there.

01:34:30 - 01:34:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I've heard stories before of people hearing a rattle for years and they think there's something wrong with their power window or something. Then they open the door and find somebody left a Pepsi can in there.

01:34:40 - 01:34:54 | Speaker 3:

isn't it funny and my son my son joe by the way doesn't let you eat in his his uh new blazer that he has i'm gonna play him this audio of your call and i'm gonna say i wonder if the people

01:34:54 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 2:

that make the blazers do that too that's a topic we'll have to talk about another time i love the fact your son won't let you eat in the car when

01:35:00 - 01:35:04 | Speaker 1:

he spent his entire life eating in your car exactly what's going on ann how you doing

01:35:04 - 01:35:46 | Speaker 4:

hey good morning guys um i actually work um at human resources in a steel factory and i will say that i i'm pretty confident on this percentage that about 85 to 90 percent of our guys um actually eat in the bathroom or some of them may eat in their cars but it's more easy to get to their than, you know, going to a security to get to their cars in the parking lots and everything. So it's convenient. The lunchrooms and factories are absolutely, they're vile. They are absolutely disgusting. I'd rather eat off of a toilet seat than in a lunchroom in a steel factory.

01:35:46 - 01:35:54 | Speaker 1:

Isn't that crazy? Wow. The bathrooms have more sanitary conditions. What's going on, Diane?

01:35:55 - 01:36:05 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Hi. Hi. So I used to clean medical office buildings And in the women's bathroom I used to always find food In the tampon bag

01:36:05 - 01:36:07 | Speaker 5:

Oh like wrappers and stuff? Extra food?

01:36:08 - 01:36:15 | Speaker 2:

No you would see sandwiches And it happens often You clean a lot of medical buildings And it was like a weekly thing

01:36:15 - 01:36:19 | Speaker 1:

Disgusting So you actually look inside the bags?

01:36:20 - 01:36:23 | Speaker 6:

No when you open up the little thing Right

01:36:23 - 01:36:30 | Speaker 1:

You can see what's in there people don't just like put them in and then throw them in the garbage at all well no because you

01:36:30 - 01:36:39 | Speaker 6:

you're you're taking out a tampon right there yeah okay so it's it's you know you just throw it right there right i always thought the most sanitary thing i always thought living with

01:36:39 - 01:36:43 | Speaker 1:

sisters and a wife that they wrapped it up in toilet paper at home yes but in like a public

01:36:43 - 01:36:48 | Speaker 6:

room that just containers right there there's no there's usually no garbage in the stall with you

01:36:48 - 01:36:52 | Speaker 2:

guys should see mojo in the women's bathroom and have them take a look okay oh you know what can i

01:36:52 - 01:37:03 | Speaker 1:

Can I get a tour? Do I need a permission slip sign? But here's the deal with these guys. I would walk in and Shannon would close the door behind me, lock it, and leave me inside of the thing. I'd be like a game.

01:37:04 - 01:37:10 | Speaker 3:

It sounds like you won't be alone. Somebody might be in there eating her lunch. It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

01:37:11 - 01:37:30 | Speaker 1:

Alex not getting a call back. And we're going to find out what the story is. If you are not getting a call back after you went out with someone, you can text date to 95500. zero will get you on a future show so alec how did you guys meet hey yeah we met online okay so

01:37:30 - 01:37:38 | Speaker 3:

you guys went out on a date and what'd you do uh yeah we went out for drinks and um and now i

01:37:38 - 01:37:48 | Speaker 1:

haven't heard from her i don't really know what's happening so out for drinks did you guys uh get together afterwards like did you guys go back to her place your place uh yeah well we came back to

01:37:48 - 01:37:50 | Speaker 3:

We went back to my house.

01:37:51 - 01:37:55 | Speaker 1:

Did you guys do anything besides just hang out? Or did you guys fool around at all?

01:37:56 - 01:37:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Watched a movie.

01:37:59 - 01:37:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay.

01:38:00 - 01:38:02 | Speaker 6:

That's nice. Like heavy petting or all the stuff?

01:38:03 - 01:38:22 | Speaker 1:

All the stuff. And she's not calling you back. By the way, I just want you to know something. This is payback for all of the guys that haven't called back women over the years with our second date update to hear a guy not getting a call back. Marie is on the phone. We'll find out what the story is, okay? Marie, are you okay with your voice on the radio?

01:38:24 - 01:38:25 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Yeah.

01:38:25 - 01:38:26 | Speaker 1:

You're okay, Marie?

01:38:27 - 01:38:27 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:38:28 - 01:38:37 | Speaker 1:

Marie, we have Alec on the phone with us who went on a date with you. Says that you haven't been returning his call. Will you say hello to him?

01:38:38 - 01:38:39 | Speaker 5:

Hi, Alec.

01:38:40 - 01:38:56 | Speaker 1:

Hey. Is it true that you're not returning his phone call or is it just? yeah i'm misunderstanding no it is true why is that so um on our second date we went out for

01:38:56 - 01:39:34 | Speaker 5:

drinks and then um he invited me back to his place and i went and i walked in and it was very cute there were candles everywhere it smelled really good um there were these cute little throw pillows on the couch decorations on the wall it was just very kind of alarming a little bit because obviously this is like a single man's place um and i didn't think too much of it uh until i asked for the wi-fi password and noticed that it said alec sydney home and i didn't really know what to do with that and that's not his last name

01:39:34 - 01:39:56 | Speaker 1:

no so alec and then sydney spelled like sydney the girl's name yes like like yeah like a girl's So you're looking at his apartment, seeing how nice it is. It was nicely decorated, thinking there's no way a guy came up with these decoration plans. And you're thinking that there's somebody else possibly there in the Wi-Fi. Alec, who is Sydney?

01:39:58 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 3:

She's my sister.

01:40:00 - 01:40:07 | Speaker 2:

so wait a second so your sister's on your wi-fi do you guys live together well yes she used to

01:40:07 - 01:40:15 | Speaker 7:

live with me and then she moved out but you know how hard it's like change those things it's like it's true i can't believe that was such a big deal

01:40:15 - 01:40:25 | Speaker 9:

okay wait so why didn't you just ask i would have just said i mean sydney I don't know. I would have been curious.

01:40:26 - 01:40:38 | Speaker 5:

I mean, it just felt very odd, I guess. I don't know. I didn't want to bring it up and it'd be like a whole thing. But now it's an even bigger thing.

01:40:38 - 01:40:45 | Speaker 2:

Did you think that he would be bold enough to bring a girl back with him to his place that he lives with another girl in?

01:40:46 - 01:40:54 | Speaker 5:

You know, I really don't know. I've gone on dates before where there's been crazier things that have happened. So I just honestly was just like I'm just going to avoid this

01:40:54 - 01:41:05 | Speaker 2:

Did you look around to see if there was any other indication That there was a girl that lived there Like did you look around for pictures Or to see you know What the closet looked like If there was women's clothes in the closet

01:41:05 - 01:41:15 | Speaker 5:

I mean I looked around as much as I could But like I didn't want to seem like I was snooping In his closet or anything So no I didn't look in the closet

01:41:15 - 01:41:22 | Speaker 1:

Like Shannon said Just asking would be the most direct, easy, simple way to figure out what's going on.

01:41:22 - 01:41:31 | Speaker 9:

Yeah. One, I'd be curious. And like he just said, it's such a simple explanation. And you could have went on with, like, you already had two dates. It was going really well.

01:41:31 - 01:41:39 | Speaker 2:

Was this before or after you guys had kind of had some fun with each other that you saw the Wi-Fi?

01:41:41 - 01:41:42 | Speaker 5:

So it was after.

01:41:43 - 01:41:44 | Speaker 2:

Okay. All right.

01:41:44 - 01:41:55 | Speaker 5:

I just kind of noticed all the stuff prior and didn't think much of it. I couldn't really tell if it was a red flag or a green flag at the time. But I was like, you know what? Maybe he's just a really clean person. And, yeah.

01:41:56 - 01:42:30 | Speaker 2:

I want to throw this out there for a topic. And then I want to ask you about a possibility of you guys going on another date with each other. But I want to throw this out there. Has anybody ever done that where they've gone on a date, gone back to a person's apartment only to find out that they were in a relationship? and what was it that was the indicator to you that they were actually in another relationship and you were part of, like, a cheating situation? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. What about another date? Alec, would you like to go on another date with Marie if she was willing to go on another date with you?

01:42:31 - 01:42:39 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, absolutely. I thought it was going really well, and we had a great time. I'd absolutely be down to go on another date.

01:42:40 - 01:42:41 | Speaker 2:

Marie, are you good with that?

01:42:41 - 01:42:46 | Speaker 5:

uh yeah i mean i'd be down i think it just kind of freaked me out a little bit and we'll pay for

01:42:46 - 01:43:02 | Speaker 2:

it yeah we'll figure it out and also i can probably get xfinity if you have xfinity i can probably get xfinity to to maybe give you guys yeah and maybe maybe even i'll talk to uh kendall at xfinity maybe we can get like a i don't know 90 days of free uh wi-fi or something what's up

01:43:02 - 01:43:20 | Speaker 4:

benita how you doing well hello mojo and fam over there so i i think this is pretty common My husband actually still has his ex-girlfriend's name on the Wi-Fi, and he just never changed it. Like you said, it's not the easiest thing in the world to change. You just leave it.

01:43:20 - 01:43:29 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I bet you that that is common. The Wi-Fi is, but I bet you also passwords for streaming services, you know? I bet you that that's a common thing.

01:43:30 - 01:43:48 | Speaker 9:

Emergency contacts, if you have an alarm system, there's an ex-boyfriend. I have told them so many times, I do not have anything to do with him anymore, And he is still on my account when you call the alarm company. It's like a joke at this point. But, yeah, those things sometimes can be, you know, slightly tough to change.

01:43:49 - 01:43:52 | Speaker 2:

Jeremy, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Jeremy, how are you doing?

01:43:52 - 01:43:53 | Speaker 6:

I'm good, good, good.

01:43:54 - 01:43:55 | Speaker 2:

What's going on? What did you want to say?

01:43:56 - 01:44:10 | Speaker 6:

Oh, yeah. She had sex with the guy, and then she turned around for his Wi-Fi. That's just wrong. That's why she's single. Oh, Lord. I wouldn't go back on a date.

01:44:10 - 01:44:18 | Speaker 2:

Wait, you're telling Alec not to take another date with Marie? I wouldn't. What? It's an honest mistake, though.

01:44:19 - 01:44:24 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, well, I don't know. She's kind of heartless, maybe.

01:44:25 - 01:44:29 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I think that you're being too judgmental on that one. I think it's an honest mistake.

01:44:30 - 01:44:32 | Speaker 6:

No, I'm too judgmental, though, Mojo.

01:44:32 - 01:44:37 | Speaker 2:

Jeremy, you know how difficult it is out there right now dating? Come on, man. What's going on, Jen?

01:44:37 - 01:45:29 | Speaker 3:

01:45:00 - 01:45:08 | Speaker 5:

Should Marie ask for proof, though, that he's got a sister and see if she can talk before she goes on the next date?

01:45:11 - 01:45:25 | Speaker 7:

If she wants to. I mean, you know. Would you? She can even ask about the password. So I don't know. I would have just asked about the Wi-Fi. I would have just asked about it. Right. I don't know.

01:45:26 - 01:45:34 | Speaker 5:

Shelby actually was on a date with someone. you were back at their place only to realize that the person that you were on a date with was cheating?

01:45:36 - 01:45:44 | Speaker 7:

Yes, sir. I found... I mean, the shower door was open, but they had Joico purple shampoo in their shower.

01:45:44 - 01:45:47 | Speaker 6:

Whoops. There's another woman in that shower.

01:45:48 - 01:45:51 | Speaker 3:

Expensive shampoo to help keep your blonde blonde.

01:45:51 - 01:45:56 | Speaker 7:

Thankfully, I found that long before anything else happened. Oh, good. Oh, good.

01:45:56 - 01:45:59 | Speaker 5:

Thank you for the call, I appreciate it

01:45:59 - 01:46:00 | Speaker 7:

Have a good day

01:46:00 - 01:46:03 | Speaker 5:

Alright guys, hang on, we're going to get you guys set up for another date, okay?

01:46:04 - 01:46:06 | Speaker 7:

Great, sounds good

01:46:06 - 01:46:16 | Speaker 5:

Alright, don't listen to all the haters like Jeremy And some of the other callers that are like, you know, thinking that you guys are crazy Although I will tell you this, Marie, I would definitely ask to meet the sister

01:46:16 - 01:46:19 | Speaker 7:

I will absolutely do that

01:46:19 - 01:46:22 | Speaker 5:

01:46:22 - 01:46:32 | Speaker 4:

Facebook Facebook! Facebook.com slash Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:46:32 - 01:46:35 | Speaker 5:

All right, Shannon, what do we got in this hour's Dirty on the 30?

01:46:35 - 01:46:57 | Speaker 3:

Everything, everywhere, all at once and all quiet on the Western front. We're the big winners at the Academy Awards last night. Michelle Yeoh winning the Best Actress Prize for everything, which was also the winner of the night's top prize of Best Picture. She actually made history last night as well, becoming the first Asian woman to win the Best Actress Oscar.

01:46:57 - 01:47:11 | Speaker 1:

This is proof that dreams dream big, and dreams do come true. And ladies, don't let anybody tell you you are ever past your prime. You never give up.

01:47:12 - 01:47:17 | Speaker 6:

I love that. When you realize she's 60 and you see the martial arts she's doing in that movie, she does her own stunts. It's unbelievable.

01:47:18 - 01:47:29 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, her co-stars K. Huey Kwan and Damie Lee Curtis won for Best Supporting Actor and actress respectively toward the end of the night brendan frazier won the best actor award for the

01:47:29 - 01:47:43 | Speaker 2:

whale i um started in this business 30 years ago and things they didn't come easily to me but there there was a facility that i didn't um i didn't appreciate at the time until it stopped jimmy

01:47:43 - 01:47:49 | Speaker 3:

kimmel hosting the oscars for the third time around everybody looks so great when i look around

01:47:49 - 01:47:53 | Speaker 4:

in this room, I can't help but wonder, is Ozempic right for me?

01:47:55 - 01:48:24 | Speaker 3:

Side story related to the Oscars, the In Memoriam segment always causes some chatter the next morning. Oh, there's always someone left out. Because people are left out, yep. Some big names were missing this year, though. Paul Sorvino and Anne Heche among them. The segment was introduced by a teary-eyed John Travolta, who lost his Grease co-star, Olivia Newton-John, and his longtime, very close friend and co-star, Kirstie Alley, this year. Leslie Jordan wasn't on there. Why don't they just Google? Tom Sizemore, who recently passed away.

01:48:24 - 01:48:30 | Speaker 5:

Celebrities who died this year. Robert Blake also wasn't on there, too. Robert Blake wasn't on there. That was a big one, too.

01:48:30 - 01:48:39 | Speaker 3:

Following the end of the segment, I did notice the Academy directed viewers to its website for a longer, fuller list. But fans were still pretty upset about those omissions.

01:48:39 - 01:48:51 | Speaker 5:

Why don't they just have the scroll, like the scroll of the directors and producers at the end of the show? I mean, I know it's a little bit, you know, too fast sometimes. You're covering all your bases. They like when they show certain celebrities

01:48:51 - 01:49:01 | Speaker 6:

And they get bigger It's like the applause-o-meter Who was the most popular person Scroll on the bottom of the screen like CNN Or ESPN

01:49:01 - 01:49:03 | Speaker 3:

Scan a QR code If you want to know

01:49:03 - 01:49:20 | Speaker 5:

You know what's interesting about that If you tune in to the Oscars late You want to know what awards it was already given out I don't understand why they don't do that And say here are the awards that we've already given out Honestly my ADD goes off When I'm watching that show because there isn't enough action that's going on.

01:49:20 - 01:49:26 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Right? Yeah. They should run it on the big screen behind them while the cinematographer is giving speeches they don't care about.

01:49:26 - 01:49:36 | Speaker 5:

Exactly. And they brought those awards back this year where they got rid of them, and I thought Kimmel's joke was the greatest. He was like, it's what you guys all wanted. We're bringing them back, but the viewers hated.

01:49:36 - 01:50:00 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah, like best production design. Yeah, all those ones. Tiger Woods is disputing his ex-girlfriend's claim that they had this oral agreement, basically like a handshake, to let her live in his house and essentially support her for years and years. Tiger's lawyers are challenging Erica Herman, who claimed in her $30 million lawsuit, that's how much she's swinging for, that Tiger promised to support her and let her live in his house for at least five more years.

01:50:00 - 01:50:25 | Speaker 4:

in return for, and I'm using air quotes here, services. Tiger's lawyer said during their relationship, Mr. Woods invited Ms. Herman to live with him as his guest in the residence. Mr. Woods never negotiated an agreement with Ms. Herman. His lawyers claim he did not throw Erica out in the cold, as is her story to the media right now. They say Tiger actually put her up in a luxury resort and gave her enough money to find a new home.

01:50:25 - 01:50:32 | Speaker 2:

Which, by the way, is interesting that he did send her away on a vacation. Send her away on a vacation, put her up in a resort, and she...

01:50:32 - 01:50:32 | Speaker 4:

And they gave her the boot.

01:50:33 - 01:50:37 | Speaker 2:

...upset that she says that he said that she could live with him and stay with him. Right, right, yeah.

01:50:38 - 01:50:47 | Speaker 4:

And Selena Gomez said she lied about not being affected by all of those negative comments from body shamers over the years. She said she really was very, very hurt.

01:50:48 - 01:51:04 | Speaker 5:

My weight would constantly fluctuate as I would be on certain medications. And obviously, people just ran with it. it was like they couldn't wait to find a thing to bring me down i was being shamed for gaining

01:51:04 - 01:51:17 | Speaker 4:

weight because of my lupus yeah she was diagnosed with lupus in 2014 if you weren't aware and she said you know people just trolled her for what was the disease's painful side effects i was posting

01:51:17 - 01:51:41 | Speaker 5:

these things saying it doesn't bother me because i didn't want it to bother other people who are experiencing the same thing i would go online and i would post a picture of myself and i would say it doesn't matter i'm not accepting what you're saying all the while being in the room posting that crying myself because nobody deserves to hear those things you know what was trending just as

01:51:41 - 01:51:55 | Speaker 2:

much as the oscars last night was the previews uh that they showed as a commercial for only uh murders in the building yeah they showed that during the oscars and actually they said that The Oscars is second to the Super Bowl for TV commercials.

01:51:56 - 01:52:02 | Speaker 4:

You know what? And did you see the preview? You don't really care about this, but they showed the preview for The Little Mermaid as well. It was kind of during the show going into a commercial break.

01:52:02 - 01:52:20 | Speaker 2:

So the biggest advertisers were people that were trying to get movies or television shows to be viewed. Second one was Pfizer was the big one that was still being, you know, plugged. And then the Wagovi or one of the weight loss shots is now officially they're using it for weight loss and now promoting it for weight loss.

01:52:20 - 01:52:21 | Speaker 1:

Just like Olympic, yeah.

01:52:21 - 01:52:28 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so they were running those nonstop during the Oscars. And they said that the prices that ABC got for it were like Super Bowl prices for their ads.

01:52:28 - 01:52:36 | Speaker 1:

I think we're going to see a big return for them. And as far as viewership, I feel like a lot more people are watching the Oscars this year than have in previous years.

01:52:36 - 01:52:41 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah. For all of today's Dirty, you can check out the Dirty page on thejointhemorning.com.

01:53:35 - 01:53:36 | Speaker 2:

Alright, it's Mojo in the morning show KP

01:54:18 - 01:54:19 | Speaker 3:

Hello.

01:54:20 - 01:54:24 | Speaker 2:

I love, by the way, when you have a cold. Do you want to know why I love when you have a cold? Or you got something going on there?

01:54:24 - 01:54:26 | Speaker 3:

I don't know what's going on. I think it's allergies.

01:54:26 - 01:54:30 | Speaker 2:

You sound so cute. You sound like the cute girl.

01:54:30 - 01:54:35 | Speaker 3:

It's like, hey, guys, how you doing? Can you tell the difference? Am I plugging my nose right now?

01:54:35 - 01:54:36 | Speaker 2:

No, you're not.

01:54:36 - 01:54:38 | Speaker 3:

Am I plugging my nose right now? You are now.

01:54:39 - 01:54:51 | Speaker 2:

But you came in this morning, and you were like, hi, guys, how are you? How was your weekend? Your voice is already so raspy. and so when you came in your voice was extra raspy with uh what do you have allergies or

01:54:51 - 01:54:55 | Speaker 3:

something yeah it's really bad I don't know what happened to me well you've been traveling you were

01:54:55 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 2:

away you were in warm climate you got the shock of the of coming back to

01:55:00 - 01:55:10 | Speaker 4:

cold weather yeah it started on the plane ride home from tampa so i don't know what i got but it's allergies i'm certain i'm certain maybe i'm wrong i don't know i don't know when you said

01:55:10 - 01:55:17 | Speaker 1:

tampa that was actually good tampa tampa um so you went uh this weekend out with some friends

01:55:17 - 01:55:55 | Speaker 4:

but you also went do a little shopping so i spent some time with some girlfriends we had like a night in and then i decided that i wanted to go to target of course and spend money that i don't have saw this cute dress and i wanted to try it on waited in the um dressing room line for what felt like 20 minutes and i was fine because i had my airpods in i was listening to our show i could see that there were shadows underneath the door and mind you there's only two dressing rooms one was locked i checked it the other one i didn't want to look underneath the door to see if there's anyone in there because that's super awkward don't tell me they were eating their

01:55:55 - 01:55:56 | Speaker 3:

lunch in there.

01:55:56 - 01:56:06 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you, uh, they were doing something in there, and, um, and I say they because when they opened the door, there wasn't one person, there was two, it was a guy and a girl.

01:56:06 - 01:56:08 | Speaker 3:

Oh, we know what they were doing in there.

01:56:08 - 01:56:17 | Speaker 4:

I guess it was lucky because I had my, my AirPods in, so I didn't hear anything, but I could see. You're talking about sex. No, not that.

01:56:17 - 01:56:19 | Speaker 1:

Do you think that they were fooling around in the dressing room?

01:56:19 - 01:56:22 | Speaker 4:

I think that they were, because I waited for 20 minutes.

01:56:22 - 01:56:38 | Speaker 1:

So when I go to Target and I want to buy something, I just grab it, bring it up with me, and then go try it at home. And then if it doesn't fit me, I go back. I've never been in the Target dressing room. Is it a dressing room like Macy's has where it's not a full door that goes all the way down? So you can actually look underneath it?

01:56:38 - 01:56:54 | Speaker 4:

Yes, there was a gap underneath the door. That's why I could see the shadows. You know those little Targets that only have the center dressing rooms in the middle of the section? That's how the Target I go to is. There's only two, and there's always 800 piles of clothing. Yes. Nobody watching or monitoring those dressing rooms.

01:56:54 - 01:56:55 | Speaker 1:

Can I be honest with you?

01:56:55 - 01:56:56 | Speaker 2:

Dude was hitting the dollar spot.

01:56:56 - 01:56:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, come on. Hey, now. Hold on a second.

01:57:00 - 01:57:05 | Speaker 2:

You've been holding on to that one. I'm wondering if I should say it or not. No regrets.

01:57:05 - 01:57:11 | Speaker 1:

You've been dad joking it a little bit there. We're going to have to have a warning whenever you do that.

01:57:12 - 01:57:13 | Speaker 2:

I don't know why we have to stop it.

01:57:14 - 01:57:18 | Speaker 1:

Mike, he's trying to steal your thunder. That's usually yours. I appreciate a good dad joke.

01:57:18 - 01:57:23 | Speaker 3:

Is this a foreshadow of what the weekend's going to entail? Just you two going at it.

01:57:23 - 01:57:37 | Speaker 4:

Lydia asked me, she's like, K.P., are you going to get wasted this weekend? I'm like, Lydia, I feel like I'm going to be carrying you. I love it. I always get, you know, I will drink and then be fine within like an hour. Anyway, back to her.

01:57:37 - 01:57:56 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so real quick. So doing it in a dressing room is a very interesting place to do it in because people have to go in there and use it, and you almost have to be very quick about it because if you take a long period of time, targets are busy places. That's a crazy place.

01:57:56 - 01:58:24 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I've heard, I mean, we've talked to listeners before that worked at Victoria's Secret and places like that where the guy will quote-unquote go in to help decide what they're going to wear, and they know what's going on. I never think about it at like a Target or somewhere. To me, I don't know. I mean, it seems like you'd be annoying other customers there. And also, there's the thingy under the door. So, like, what if someone's squirrely little four-year-old comes calling Andre? Because my children have done that before.

01:58:24 - 01:58:46 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so real quick, I want to tease this. Because coming up in 30 minutes from now, somewhere around there, Shannon had public sex this weekend with Wes, who is away on a trip right now. So you guys wanted to get one last one in before... That sounds so bad, by the way. One last one in. But they did it in a public place But it was not a Target

01:58:46 - 01:58:51 | Speaker 3:

It was not a Target Never allowed back in that Coney again Never do that to Target

01:58:51 - 01:59:02 | Speaker 1:

By the way there's nothing less romantic Than having sex in a Coney I'd rather eat my lunch in a bathroom Than have sex In a Coney

01:59:02 - 01:59:07 | Speaker 4:

I feel like that's the thrill of it though People will do it in public places Where they know people can see them or hear them

01:59:07 - 01:59:21 | Speaker 1:

I don't know To me there's no thrill about that It's, like, the only place that I would be thrilled to do it in if I was, like, hot would be, remember the person that had sex at the Daxton Hotel in Birmingham that went viral?

01:59:21 - 01:59:23 | Speaker 3:

Everybody could see them in the window?

01:59:23 - 01:59:42 | Speaker 1:

Like, if I were the guy having sex and it was just the girl that was being seen and I could, you know, like, that would be kind of interesting. Because you're up high enough where nobody's going to really know who you are and see your face. Although it would be me, finally, they'd be, like, looking up there going, hey, that looks like Tom. Our neighbor, you know?

01:59:43 - 01:59:57 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Mike and Allie make babies where they can be discovered. That is so true. Hypothetically. Allegedly. Yeah, backstage at Halloween. I don't even remember where it was. It was the one at the Royal Oak Music Theater.

01:59:57 - 01:59:58 | Speaker 3:

It was the Halloween party, yeah.

01:59:58 - 02:00:07 | Speaker 2:

Wasn't it? That's right. That's right. yep the royal oak music theater mike and uh ali conceived milo there a young man were we all gone

02:00:07 - 02:00:11 | Speaker 4:

at that time had we all left or were we all still there oh it's kind of a theory

02:00:12 - 02:00:45 | Speaker 2:

never mind um which dressing room in town has which department stores in grand rapids toledo or detroit have the best dressing rooms because i think that if you're going to go do it you got got to do it in a comfortable dressing room like do they have like certain dressing rooms where there's like nice big chairs and stuff there because they all have that same bench and if i'm gonna put my naked ass on that bench which by the way i'll never sit on that bench ever again to put on a pair of shoes or or try to get pants on well i'll be thinking of people having sex

02:00:45 - 02:00:48 | Speaker 1:

the victoria secret one because they will come back every five minutes asking you for a different

02:00:48 - 02:00:56 | Speaker 8:

process yeah elena what's up it's mojo in the morning hey so my question is how do people bake

02:00:56 - 02:01:01 | Speaker 2:

cookies in public for over 20 minutes i don't understand first off how do people have sex for

02:01:01 - 02:01:17 | Speaker 3:

over 20 minutes i don't go that long actually i think we just answered that question i think it probably prolongs because the people coming and knocking and interrupting and there's that risk of getting caught so maybe it kind of keeps a guy lasting longer maybe i don't know i think that

02:01:17 - 02:01:22 | Speaker 2:

would actually well i guess it would maybe i don't know maybe it would make you concerned

02:01:22 - 02:01:29 | Speaker 3:

and you're distracted you're concerned about somebody walking in uh what's up kyla hi hey

02:01:29 - 02:01:37 | Speaker 7:

what's going on um so i've done it in a family video before family video back in is it back

02:01:37 - 02:01:44 | Speaker 3:

behind the beaded curtain in the adult room well we went we were in the adult room watching like

02:01:44 - 02:01:48 | Speaker 7:

little previews and stuff and then we went to the bathroom oh my goodness you're the reason why they

02:01:48 - 02:02:11 | Speaker 2:

all went out of business nice work on that one uh dustin what's going on it's mojo in the morning how you doing hey what's happening uh did you do it in a dressing room no i was actually in the movie theater oh man what movie was it that you guys were saying i actually don't remember uh we

02:02:11 - 02:02:14 | Speaker 5:

went in early to go see it, and we were the only ones in the theater.

02:02:15 - 02:02:17 | Speaker 2:

Oh, jeez. A matinee? See, the movie theater ones

02:02:17 - 02:02:29 | Speaker 4:

always blow my mind, because there are always, like, you're not even in an enclosed space. Yeah. You're just, like, right out in the open. So even if there's nobody else in the theater, there are still people that can see in

02:02:29 - 02:02:31 | Speaker 2:

there. And the projector guy behind you.

02:02:31 - 02:02:35 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. And I'm sure there's cameras in there, too. Yeah, you just didn't

02:02:35 - 02:02:45 | Speaker 2:

care. I will say this to you, that if you're going to do it in a movie theater, those chairs nowadays are better than the ones that they used to have back in the day like doing it in those really comfortable

02:02:45 - 02:03:06 | Speaker 6:

ones are nice lauren what's going on it's mojo in the morning um so this isn't about me but i used to work at a retail store for almost four years and i caught a couple trying to make cookies in the dressing room and they got so mad at me because i would not let them go in together They got mad at you. And the guy was trying to bribe me.

02:03:07 - 02:03:07 | Speaker 2:

Where was this at?

02:03:08 - 02:03:10 | Speaker 6:

I was at a TJ Maxx.

02:03:10 - 02:03:11 | Speaker 4:

Oh, jeez.

02:03:11 - 02:03:32 | Speaker 6:

And those are teeny, teeny, tiny fitting rooms. They took a handicap stall. So I was like, uh-uh, like, no, you're fine. You don't need a big stall. And the guy, like, tried to split me a 20 just to let him, like, go in. And I was like, yeah, absolutely not. Wow. Like, yeah. And I was like, it's a TJ Maxx.

02:03:32 - 02:03:34 | Speaker 4:

And bad lighting in those fitting rooms, too.

02:03:35 - 02:03:36 | Speaker 3:

I don't think they're worried about it.

02:03:36 - 02:03:37 | Speaker 6:

The lighting is not good. Not good.

02:03:38 - 02:03:42 | Speaker 3:

Spike, you're missing an obvious joke. I thought of it immediately, but you called me out for my car.

02:03:42 - 02:03:45 | Speaker 2:

Come on. Go ahead. What were they doing in there?

02:03:45 - 02:03:49 | Speaker 3:

You wanted to get the max for the minimum. I know Mike thought about it, too.

02:03:50 - 02:03:54 | Speaker 1:

Lauren, you're probably mad because you'd have to clean it up afterwards.

02:03:55 - 02:04:06 | Speaker 6:

Well, that was my thing. I'm like, no. I worked the fitting room. I would have to clean up. So, no. I'm not getting any action. and you're not getting any action. Why would you think that I'd be okay with that?

02:04:07 - 02:04:15 | Speaker 2:

What's more disgusting, a person having sex in a dressing room or a person with body odor trying on a blouse and leaving the body odor on the blouse?

02:04:16 - 02:04:39 | Speaker 6:

I mean, if you can get your business done in like five minutes and get out, I mean, I would take that over. Because we've had some returns where, you know, it wasn't legal then, but it's legal now to smoke. And some of the items that would come back, I was just like, bro, were you smoking in the sweater to wrap up your supply? It would be strong.

02:04:40 - 02:04:44 | Speaker 2:

I'll tell you what I could get done in three minutes and try the outfit on. Right?

02:04:45 - 02:04:49 | Speaker 6:

If you do it in three minutes and you smell, I feel bad for the person that you're with, to be honest.

02:04:49 - 02:04:50 | Speaker 3:

Really?

02:04:50 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 2:

The funniest thing, talking about returning something that obviously had a smell to it, a friend of mine used to work at Nordstrom's and she said one time a person returned to

02:05:00 - 02:05:17 | Speaker 3:

pair of pants that literally had fecal matter on the inside by the buttocks. No. They said that they were obviously not wearing their underwear. Or it was so bad that it got on the pants. And she said she looked at it and she goes, there's a spot

02:05:17 - 02:05:24 | Speaker 4:

on here. And then... She did not sniff it. No! Why would you do that? Because you almost have to, but ew. Seriously.

02:05:26 - 02:05:27 | Speaker 3:

Good God, please.

02:05:27 - 02:05:50 | Speaker 4:

Okay, listen to this text from Amanda. She says her husband and she had sex in the elevator at Willis Tower in Chicago, going up to the top. The other people in the elevator and the worker taking us up never knew. Of course they knew, right? Come on. They had to know. There's no way you could sneak that. How do they position themselves? No matter how they position themselves, the other people in the elevator knew what they were doing. They just weren't going to say anything.

02:05:50 - 02:05:51 | Speaker 3:

Alan, where did you guys do it?

02:05:52 - 02:05:54 | Speaker 1:

St. V's Emergency Room.

02:05:55 - 02:05:55 | Speaker 3:

In an emergency?

02:05:55 - 02:05:58 | Speaker 1:

Downtown Toledo. Yeah. In an emergency?

02:05:58 - 02:06:00 | Speaker 3:

Where in the emergency room?

02:06:01 - 02:06:15 | Speaker 1:

In the bathroom right there. Ivy hooked up and everything. I was in the halfway house, and we used an excuse that I had a problem with my ankle and was dehydrated. My wife now met me there. That's where we did it at.

02:06:15 - 02:06:17 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. You guys are horndogs. Geez.

02:06:18 - 02:06:21 | Speaker 4:

I think we have the texter on that I was just reading from.

02:06:21 - 02:06:29 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? A voice disguise her? Her alias is going to be Amanda. Amanda, you're the one that did it in one of the tallest buildings' elevators?

02:06:30 - 02:06:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I blame my husband. We were at Willis Tower in Chicago. In the back part of the elevator, there was about five other people and a worker. And I had a short skirt on. And boom, all of a sudden, he started trying to bake cookies. Obviously, didn't have time to finish it. But, yeah, nobody in the elevator even realized it.

02:06:47 - 02:06:48 | Speaker 4:

Oh, come on. Wait a second.

02:06:48 - 02:07:00 | Speaker 3:

They had to know. Those elevators are not that big. How much of a bragger is he now that he didn't have time to finish? As you were going, how many stories up? How many stories is the Willits Tower, formerly the Sears Tower?

02:07:01 - 02:07:03 | Speaker 2:

I think it's like 108 or 110.

02:07:04 - 02:07:09 | Speaker 3:

I couldn't finish. I'm sorry. Bastard.

02:07:09 - 02:07:11 | Speaker 4:

Well, it's only a 90-second ride, right?

02:07:11 - 02:07:12 | Speaker 3:

I don't know.

02:07:12 - 02:07:14 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it doesn't take that long to get to the top.

02:07:14 - 02:07:25 | Speaker 3:

It scares the hell out of me anytime I'm in one of those elevators going up that high. Did you guys finish when you guys were on that little pier? Don't they have that little glass pier that you can look out to the city and you look down on?

02:07:25 - 02:07:32 | Speaker 2:

He tried, and I'm like, uh-uh. You've got to wait until I get back to the hotel room, and he tried on the elevator ride down again, and I'm like, no, no, no.

02:07:32 - 02:07:36 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, there's fun and risky, and then there's I'm going to get arrested for indecency in public.

02:07:36 - 02:07:39 | Speaker 3:

You gave him blue balls, the poor guy.

02:07:39 - 02:07:40 | Speaker 2:

Poor man, I know, right?

02:07:40 - 02:08:32 | Speaker 3:

Oh, jeez. All right. Mojo in the morning show. I got so busted and I feel bad about it because it really was not personal, I promise but I was walking through Kroger and my phone rang and I was grabbing some items and I looked at my phone and I saw the person who was calling and I figured I don't know, I want to talk so I muted it so that the vibration would stop on it and stop on my watch and then I just kept on shopping for a little bit and sure as spit I turned the corner and there he is standing right there and he goes hey I was trying to call you and I said oh really I didn't know that he goes yes you do you looked at your phone and put it right

02:08:32 - 02:08:34 | Speaker 4:

back in your pocket he watched you bump him

02:08:34 - 02:09:30 | Speaker 3:

he watched me bump him in the aisle at Kroger when I was getting a couple of items and I'm like you know it's nothing personal I'm sorry about that he goes don't worry about it don't don't you know don't get too crazy about the whole thing but it was so embarrassing and it's now gotten me so freaked out that anytime that my phone rings I pick up my phone and look at it and then I look around to see exactly who's around me even if I'm in a car and the reason why with the car the car one you got to be really really careful about well if you're in the car okay say you're in the car and you're driving your car and somebody's calling you and you don't pick up the phone but you kind of can see you looking at your phone like grabbing your phone to see who it is and you don't pick it up yeah they could be right around you the odds of that happening would be so few do you ever hear that do you ever hear the the vince lucido story uh-uh vince lucido i wonder if vince would be listening right now if i could call him up you

02:09:30 - 02:09:39 | Speaker 4:

think he would yeah give a try i think there's a good excuse when you're actually in the car because you can just say, hey, I just don't want to talk. It's not safe.

02:09:40 - 02:09:55 | Speaker 3:

I think I told this story maybe, I don't know, two or three times on the show over the years. I think you should be able to bump anybody when they call. Wait, you can bump them, but you can't let them know that you bumped them. Why? They got to think that you're busy.

02:09:55 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 4:

Sometimes you are just not in the mood to talk on the phone. Sorry, I'm trying to finish this grocery shop, and I'll talk to you.

02:10:00 - 02:10:01 | Speaker 2:

Vince is probably busy.

02:10:01 - 02:10:02 | Speaker 5:

Okay, wait. I don't recall the story.

02:10:02 - 02:10:04 | Speaker 2:

All right. So the Vince Lucido story is the.

02:10:05 - 02:10:11 | Speaker 4:

Hi, this is Vince. Please leave a message. He sounds so down. As soon as possible. Thank you very much.

02:10:11 - 02:10:12 | Speaker 7:

Hi. Good.

02:10:12 - 02:10:13 | Speaker 2:

This is Vince.

02:10:14 - 02:10:16 | Speaker 7:

How do you know if something recorded so?

02:10:16 - 02:10:54 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Vince. All right. So Vince told me a story about he was driving down a hall road and Joe, his son, was driving with a bunch of buddies in a car. And he told me a story about how he's driving and Joe was driving like an a-hole or something As Vince would say, he's driving like an a-hole. So I wanted to call and say something to him. So he picked up the phone and called Joe Jr. You know, not Joe Jr. Because Joe's his uncle, his name after, you know, he hits the phone and bumps him. Calls again, bumps him again. Finally, I think on the third time, Vince said that he picked up the phone, looked at it, and started showing and mocking his friends about Ted calling.

02:10:54 - 02:10:55 | Speaker 5:

He's next to him on the road.

02:10:55 - 02:10:58 | Speaker 2:

And his dad is driving down Hall Road the entire time.

02:10:58 - 02:10:59 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that is good.

02:10:59 - 02:11:26 | Speaker 2:

So I said, what did you do? And he said he left a message for him. And in the message, it was, this is the last time I'm paying for your phone. And then hung up. Oh, that's good. Have you ever been busted not taking someone's call? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is the telephone number. You've got to be careful when it comes to this. Or have you ever been busted by text message, too?

02:11:26 - 02:11:40 | Speaker 5:

I was going to say, text is easy because a lot of times, even if you don't respond to a text message, people will see that you like, you can't say you weren't around your phone because people will see that you left a comment on Instagram or something around the same time.

02:11:40 - 02:11:56 | Speaker 2:

Do you know what's funny is that I don't even know if it shows up on mine. You guys have to tell me, but it is a show that I read because I think I took that off that it doesn't show. But now if I'm like trying to avoid somebody, I will not even look at their voicemail or their text message to me.

02:11:56 - 02:11:57 | Speaker 5:

No, yours doesn't.

02:11:57 - 02:12:01 | Speaker 2:

It doesn't show reds or unreds? I hate that, by the way, when it shows.

02:12:01 - 02:12:02 | Speaker 6:

You've got to disable that.

02:12:02 - 02:12:04 | Speaker 2:

And then people get judgy that you didn't return it.

02:12:04 - 02:12:05 | Speaker 6:

After you read it.

02:12:05 - 02:12:19 | Speaker 2:

After you read it. And then the other one is, like you said, the DMs that people will leave, where people will leave you a DM, and you'll read it, and you don't have time to respond back to it, but they'll get mad that you read it and did not respond to them. Right. Hey, Mojo in the morning, hello.

02:12:20 - 02:12:21 | Speaker 3:

Hi.

02:12:21 - 02:12:22 | Speaker 2:

Hi, what's going on?

02:12:22 - 02:12:34 | Speaker 3:

So I used to use an app whenever my ex-husband wouldn't answer my phone calls. I knew that he had his phone in his hand probably, and I would use an app to change my number to call him.

02:12:35 - 02:12:38 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. And what would you change your number to?

02:12:39 - 02:12:45 | Speaker 3:

Sometimes, like, his mom's phone number or maybe his work number, like, you know, his office number.

02:12:45 - 02:12:49 | Speaker 2:

I love it. And he would pick up the phone for her, but he wouldn't pick up the phone for you.

02:12:50 - 02:12:52 | Speaker 3:

Yes, and it would make me so mad.

02:12:52 - 02:12:59 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. Oh, my God. That poor bastard got himself into trouble. What's up, Grace? How you doing?

02:13:00 - 02:13:25 | Speaker 1:

Hi. So my story is when I was in college, my booty call, he called me, and then I bumped the booty call, but he was watching me across the street. And he said, hey, hey, Grace. And I was like, oh, my God. Hey, what's going on? And he was like, hey, I just called you, and I had no good reason. I just said, I'm sorry. I'm not in the mood to talk to you right now.

02:13:25 - 02:13:30 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you were honest at least. That's good. You didn't try to fake it like I would and go, I didn't see your call.

02:13:31 - 02:13:35 | Speaker 1:

No, he watched me look at my phone and decline it.

02:13:35 - 02:13:42 | Speaker 6:

But I still think you should say, I'm not in the mood to talk right now. It's a lot different than, I'm not in the mood to talk to you right now.

02:13:43 - 02:13:53 | Speaker 2:

But people don't take it that way. People don't take it even if you're honest As being nice They don't understand But they should because you ever look at your phone and you're just like

02:13:53 - 02:13:59 | Speaker 5:

I don't want to talk right now Truly we talk all day So sometimes I don't want to talk to anybody

02:13:59 - 02:14:02 | Speaker 2:

Jim who did you get caught bumping

02:14:02 - 02:14:33 | Speaker 4:

I actually caught My ex-girlfriend Well she was my girlfriend at the time But I saw her driving down the street And you know like if you see somebody you You know or somebody like that and then you kind of get a little excited. So you're like, oh, look, hey, I see her. So I'm right behind her, and I call her, and I see her pick up the phone, look at it, and then set it back down. Did you bust her? My little feelings got hurt. So she definitely heard about it when we got home.

02:14:33 - 02:14:38 | Speaker 2:

What you didn't hear was when she said, as she's putting it down, he's got a small dick.

02:14:38 - 02:14:41 | Speaker 4:

That was probably that, or like, oh, my God, him again.

02:14:41 - 02:14:51 | Speaker 2:

By the way, it feels like that whenever somebody does that to you. If somebody does bump you. Right away, you're instantly thinking that the person's making a judgment about you.

02:14:52 - 02:14:55 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, probably a curse word, two or three curse words. Exactly.

02:14:56 - 02:14:56 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Jennifer?

02:14:58 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 4:

Snapchat is the absolute...

02:15:00 - 02:15:07 | Speaker 6:

worst. Yes. They expose you. Yes. It shows red. It shows when you're in the snap. You can't get away with nothing on Snapchat. Well, listen, you

02:15:07 - 02:15:11 | Speaker 5:

can get away with stuff on Snapchat. People are using Snapchat to cheat all the time.

02:15:13 - 02:15:15 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, but when you're in the conversation, it shows everything.

02:15:16 - 02:15:29 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Right. Snapchat is the worst because if you have your location on, it will tell people when the last time you were active. So if they sent you a message an hour ago and you were active two minutes ago, they know that you're ignoring them. Yeah. Like I told you, the worst.

02:15:29 - 02:15:32 | Speaker 5:

Thank you for the call. Derek, you got caught bumping your boss?

02:15:33 - 02:15:34 | Speaker 7:

Yes, sir.

02:15:35 - 02:15:36 | Speaker 5:

Uh-oh. Where were you?

02:15:37 - 02:16:02 | Speaker 7:

I was actually at lunch, and he stuck up behind us. And I actually had a picture of a piece of crap as him because it was always some stupid stuff. Wow. No. So he's coming up behind us, and he's, like, trying to call. And I was like, and one of my friends looks over that we work with. He's like, oh, what does this idiot want? He heard the entire thing and saw the pool. Oh, my gosh. How did that go over? Not very well.

02:16:04 - 02:16:10 | Speaker 4:

I think the best is that his picture that shows up when he calls you is a piece of crap.

02:16:11 - 02:16:24 | Speaker 7:

Every time, man, he has the most harebrained ideas ever. It's a dangerous job where he moved furniture and he wants to, like, hoist stuff and do weird stuff with everything. Are you still working there? Oh, absolutely not. Oh, okay.

02:16:24 - 02:16:44 | Speaker 2:

my favorite part of my job is assuming i'm going to get fired every time my boss wants to talk to me this is mojo in the morning you also think you're smarter than the idiots who fall for scams until it happens to you another world-famous phone scam happens at 9 50 on mojo in the morning

02:16:44 - 02:19:15 | Speaker 5:

mojo in the morning call us text us follow us check out what we talked about earlier this morning on the show got some good stuff for you to uh to do i'll tell you about that um uh phone number 844 mojo live text 95500 and of course search mojo in the morning on social media So far this morning, if you missed everything that happened earlier in the show, you can go back even to, like, when we first started the show off, talking about the craziness in Chicago, hanging out for St. Patrick's Day. I was hanging out with Megan and our old producer, Alan, and EJ and stuff, so you can get that. Mike's daddy-daughter dance and the new hibachi rules. If you go out for food, Japanese food, and you're sitting at a communal table, Mike had a complaint about the people he was sitting with. Shannon got caught by the pee-pee dance. That podcast is up. Spike is obsessed with something now and has to bring his phone with him everywhere he goes. You'll hear that. The weirdest place that you've eaten, Lydia caught a Starbucks barista, eats in the bathroom. And hooking up in the dressing room plus the second date update, all those up on our Mojo in the Morning podcast. If you missed any portion of today's show, I suggest you go listen to it. I find myself, you know, if I'm listening and I hear something, I'm like, oh, you know, this is okay, but hold on. I want to see what this is. And I actually find myself doing ADD listening now. with our podcast, which is fine. I'm fine with it, as long as you listen to it. And one of the things that I need to say, because I heard my son Joe talk about this on his show when I was down in Tampa last week, and he does such an amazing job of doing this. I don't care when you want to listen to the show, as long as you listen and listen the day that we do the thing. And here's the reason why I ask you to listen at that time. Because it helps you then understand the references that we make on the show over time right so if so if you are listening to this radio show try to listen to it and catch up on the stuff you know if you can within you know the day that we do it because then it makes you not feel like you're not part of the you know the conversation yeah too i

02:19:15 - 02:19:19 | Speaker 1:

feel like in the days following there are always some sort of jokes referring back to it and i try

02:19:19 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 5:

to i try to do as best as i can to say well remember we talked about this or remember but But then sometimes it gets irritating for those that are like the hardcore regular listeners like yourself. And so I really ask you to do that for us. And please, if you like our show, you know, follow our podcast, Mojo in the Morning. They're available anywhere you get podcasts. I hope that you listen to them on the iHeartRadio app. And remember that if you are, and sometimes people don't understand this, if you're listening to the show now and if you follow the podcast, you can actually go to the podcast and hear stuff we talked about earlier in the day because we podcasted immediately for you. We don't wait until like we did it in the old school days where we waited until like noon.

02:20:00 - 02:20:09 | Speaker 2:

or something like that. And people would always say to me, I would get DMs, it's 12.45, why haven't you guys podcasted yet?

02:20:09 - 02:20:13 | Speaker 3:

Now the whole show's up by 11 a.m. As soon as we've done the show, it's up.

02:20:13 - 02:20:32 | Speaker 2:

And honestly, the reason is we get crazy busy, but we're trying to be as effective with you to make you, the listener, be more convenienced by things. We only do this for you. I mean, to be quite honest with you, you guys are very demanding. And we try to do our best to make sure that you guys are entertained.

02:20:32 - 02:20:49 | Speaker 3:

I feel like now we're doing the Jimmy Kimmel joke he did last night at the Oscars where he was making fun of Nicole Kidman's commercials in AMC theaters where she's telling everybody in the theater to go to the movies. He's like, you're already in the movies. Why are you telling them to go to the movies? They're listening to the radio and we're telling them to listen to the radio.

02:20:50 - 02:21:17 | Speaker 2:

It is so true. Know your audience, right? Know who your audience is. Tell a friend. Keep us employed. All right. Well, I promised this. I said that this was going to be something that we would talk about when we were discussing the sex in a dressing room. And we talked about where you had sex. Shannon and her fiance couldn't get enough of each other. And you guys had sex in a public place.

02:21:18 - 02:21:32 | Speaker 1:

And we're hurting today, which is the funniest part. So we went out to dinner on Saturday night. And I was staying on his side of town. that night so on For the listeners that don't understand this

02:21:32 - 02:21:36 | Speaker 2:

how far do you guys live from each other? Like 35 minutes. So it's a decent drive

02:21:36 - 02:22:13 | Speaker 1:

It's not that far but it is far enough that like if you know we go out to dinner obviously whatever side of town we're on that's where we're going to stay for the night and so we were closer to his side of town and so I was going to be staying at his house so we go out to dinner like have a glass of wine and so on the way home I think we we both knew that we were both, you know, like we, we wanted to have sex, like right at that moment. Well, his teenage son was at home. So that was not happening. We were not going to like bust through the door and go right back to the bedroom because it would have been super obvious and super awkward.

02:22:13 - 02:22:19 | Speaker 2:

Are you guys mindful to, to not fornicate when the children are around that could hear?

02:22:20 - 02:22:26 | Speaker 1:

No, we're just quiet. But it, what I'm saying in that moment is it was still early enough in the evening where like we weren't going to bed.

02:22:27 - 02:22:27 | Speaker 2:

What time of evening was it?

02:22:27 - 02:22:30 | Speaker 1:

Do you know what? We probably got home at like nine.

02:22:31 - 02:22:31 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

02:22:31 - 02:22:33 | Speaker 1:

Maybe on a Saturday night.

02:22:33 - 02:22:36 | Speaker 2:

And he's probably watching TV or playing video games or something. He's up watching TV on his phone. Yeah.

02:22:36 - 02:23:04 | Speaker 1:

You know, so it would have looked really obvious if we got home, told him hi, and just like walked back to the bedroom. He's smarter than that. He's 15 years old. So we decided that we were going to pull over into an office building parking lot that was on the way and get into the back seat. Well, let me tell you something. You teenagers. I did feel like a teenager. First off, I'm always terrified in those situations that we're going to get caught because this isn't the first time that we've done this.

02:23:04 - 02:23:06 | Speaker 2:

You guys have done this before?

02:23:06 - 02:23:07 | Speaker 1:

I've talked about it before.

02:23:08 - 02:23:10 | Speaker 2:

You guys have sex in parking lots? I've talked about it before.

02:23:11 - 02:23:11 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Okay.

02:23:12 - 02:23:13 | Speaker 2:

Do you have a favorite parking lot?

02:23:14 - 02:23:16 | Speaker 1:

This is the second time in this one. Second.

02:23:17 - 02:23:21 | Speaker 3:

Is it retail? Is it a school or church? Because you'll get arrested for that.

02:23:21 - 02:24:00 | Speaker 1:

No, it's like an office. Oh, okay. You know, like a bunch of offices or whatever. we both woke up in the middle of the night with our backs hurting so bad from trying to twist ourselves in that little back seat i legit hobbled out of bed yesterday morning i need some of your balls at this point i need some bengue motrin tylenol whatever you can give me to make my back feel better but i say horny just the awkward angles of the back seat got us both really good and i said i texted him this morning i'm like i feel like an 85 year old lady at this point My back is burning Oh, I love those pickles How many of those are you going to use?

02:24:00 - 02:24:19 | Speaker 2:

Question for you, question about this I don't recall your last story of you talking about this So, I don't know, maybe it slipped my mind or something It was a while ago You guys will find yourselves going into parking lots Was the last time also because the kids were around? Or why did you guys have sex in a parking lot?

02:24:20 - 02:24:28 | Speaker 1:

I can't remember why, but it was that same parking lot It might have been because it was, you know, in the daytime or something and the kids were around and the kids were home.

02:24:28 - 02:24:30 | Speaker 2:

Do we know what the businesses are that are in that office?

02:24:30 - 02:24:31 | Speaker 1:

I have no idea.

02:24:31 - 02:24:34 | Speaker 2:

So it's an office building close to his house on his side of town.

02:24:34 - 02:24:35 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

02:24:35 - 02:24:41 | Speaker 2:

And it's like an office building kind of like what? Like where the doctor's office, like where Dr. Warner's office is kind of like?

02:24:41 - 02:24:45 | Speaker 1:

A big office building like that. Like that, okay. It looks like there's a ton of, you know, things inside.

02:24:45 - 02:24:48 | Speaker 2:

And on the weekend, and you're doing it on the weekends, and the weekends are probably not. There's nobody there.

02:24:48 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 1:

There was literally not one other car in the parking lot until we were about to leave. And then another car pulled in. I think it was probably like high school kids. Also doing it? Oh, is that the spot?

02:25:00 - 02:25:01 | Speaker 4:

I don't know what they were doing.

02:25:01 - 02:25:03 | Speaker 2:

Sorry, I got dibs on this one. But you've got to be careful.

02:25:04 - 02:25:06 | Speaker 3:

You think, oh, it's a weekend. No one's here. It's empty.

02:25:06 - 02:25:09 | Speaker 2:

Our parents are having sex in the car next door to us. What's going on?

02:25:09 - 02:25:14 | Speaker 3:

They can think someone's scoping the joint to break in. See, you really have to be careful. Like, there's a security camera.

02:25:14 - 02:25:21 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, or do you worry that the mobile security guy that drives around just looking to make sure all the doors are locked is not going to be driving around?

02:25:21 - 02:25:24 | Speaker 4:

I didn't see one. If there is one, definitely didn't see it.

02:25:24 - 02:25:26 | Speaker 2:

Are you doing it in the back of your Buick?

02:25:27 - 02:25:30 | Speaker 4:

No, we're in Wes's car. Wes's car? Because he has a smaller size SUV.

02:25:31 - 02:25:36 | Speaker 3:

So his car is not. Well, let's not talk about the size of this. His car is smaller. I mean, come on. He got the job done. You were happy.

02:25:36 - 02:25:40 | Speaker 4:

It's this big. Oh, my God. I'm literally deleting all of those drops from that thing.

02:25:42 - 02:26:13 | Speaker 2:

It's interesting. So you guys have used this lot multiple times. Wouldn't it be funny if the building people have noticed this? They're going to jot your license plate down, and they're going to send over the local police to come to your house. You've got to be careful. I could picture it now. Local morning show radio personality caught having sex in parking lot of office building. Next at 11. What's going on, Jeff? How you doing?

02:26:14 - 02:26:16 | Speaker 6:

How's it going? Good morning, guys. Good morning. Good morning.

02:26:16 - 02:26:23 | Speaker 2:

What's happening? You've heard Shannon just talking about how she and her fiance were doing it in a parking lot this weekend. Where did you guys do it?

02:26:24 - 02:26:40 | Speaker 6:

So I was in jail for a little stint, for a 90-day, you know, little stay. They have a trustee program in the county I'm from. You get to leave the jail and go work at the local programs like Salvation Army and Habitat for Humanity, you know, animal shelter, whatnot.

02:26:41 - 02:26:41 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

02:26:42 - 02:26:57 | Speaker 6:

So I used to go to the Salvation Army to work on this jail program. I mean, you're wearing the whole jail jumpsuit, everything. You just got your real sneakers on. I used to have my girlfriend meet me there, and we'd go hide in the food closet and do our thing there.

02:26:58 - 02:27:02 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. And you would have your jail outfit on. Was it an orange jumpsuit?

02:27:03 - 02:27:05 | Speaker 6:

Well, actually, it was red and white stripes.

02:27:06 - 02:27:11 | Speaker 3:

But I'm surprised you could sneak away because you'd think they'd want you under the watchful eye the whole time.

02:27:11 - 02:27:31 | Speaker 6:

Well, when you're in the programs, you just run around the facility by yourself. You don't have no cops with you or none of that. The people from the facility actually come and pick you up from the jail every morning. and you go work an eight-hour shift, and they bring you back home. So, yeah, you just got to run around the facility, sneak away. We used to go smoke cigarettes, all that good stuff. So, yeah.

02:27:31 - 02:27:48 | Speaker 2:

That's amazing. That's a conjugal visit going on between you and your girlfriend. Voice Disguise, Ann, this is like six on sex when we asked the listeners, have you ever had public sex? Shannon would answer yes if we were doing six on sex a couple of times. Ann, you also would answer yes, too?

02:27:48 - 02:27:56 | Speaker 1:

multiple times um in a playground parking lot oh you better be careful you get busted there

02:27:56 - 02:28:03 | Speaker 2:

you get yourself on a list on a list what'd you say this house is like right behind the

02:28:03 - 02:28:06 | Speaker 1:

playground parking lot it's like it's i street the playground's like right there

02:28:06 - 02:28:20 | Speaker 2:

question for you we you're not a teenager right how old are you uh 37 so a 37 year old why are you guys not doing it in a home or an apartment or somewhere?

02:28:21 - 02:28:27 | Speaker 1:

Most of the time, it'll be like before work or something like that. Like just in the morning, you wake up like that.

02:28:28 - 02:28:31 | Speaker 2:

And is this a person that you live with or are you just in a relationship with?

02:28:32 - 02:28:34 | Speaker 4:

In a relationship with, but we work together.

02:28:34 - 02:28:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. You're cheating on somebody.

02:28:36 - 02:28:41 | Speaker 4:

Are you not supposed to be in a relationship with this person? No, no. We're good.

02:28:41 - 02:28:47 | Speaker 3:

Well, then why are you voice disguised and sneaking around behind buildings? She's cheating.

02:28:47 - 02:29:03 | Speaker 2:

She doesn't want her husband to know Because he's at home right now That's alright Ann We believe you We'll talk to you on Thursday morning When we bust you with a word of the roses What's happening Sherry How you doing

02:29:03 - 02:29:05 | Speaker 5:

Good morning how are you

02:29:05 - 02:29:11 | Speaker 2:

Sherry has got a warning for anybody that does this Public sex stuff She got busted by the cops

02:29:11 - 02:29:29 | Speaker 5:

We didn't get busted But as we were sitting in the parking lot I just about finished making cookies, and I happened to look over to the other side of the parking lot, and there are two Michigan State police sitting in the rest area about, I don't know, eight places away from us. Wow.

02:29:30 - 02:29:31 | Speaker 2:

And they didn't see anything?

02:29:32 - 02:29:40 | Speaker 5:

No, thank God. I don't know how we got away with it, but we were definitely trying to be a little more discreet.

02:29:40 - 02:29:41 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

02:29:41 - 02:29:47 | Speaker 5:

And I said, oh, my God, we need to stop. Uh, no, we're not stopping now. You asked to stop here.

02:29:47 - 02:29:49 | Speaker 3:

He was going to complete his mission.

02:29:50 - 02:29:54 | Speaker 2:

Shannon, do you ever worry that there's going to be the flashlight at the window?

02:29:55 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 4:

I mean, to be honest, and I know there's no way to actually make sure that that doesn't happen.

02:30:00 - 02:30:03 | Speaker 1:

But we were both watching as it was happening.

02:30:03 - 02:30:05 | Speaker 5:

Watching, make sure there's no lights coming up?

02:30:05 - 02:30:08 | Speaker 4:

Don't give her idea. She's going to have Wes dress like an officer next time.

02:30:08 - 02:30:09 | Speaker 5:

Wait, can I ask an honest question?

02:30:10 - 02:30:10 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:30:10 - 02:30:15 | Speaker 5:

How long did you have to wait for the defrost to actually defog the windows afterwards?

02:30:16 - 02:30:19 | Speaker 1:

It wasn't zero. It wasn't that cold.

02:30:20 - 02:30:24 | Speaker 5:

All right. Because I didn't know if sometimes inside is like all of a sudden the windows are all fogged up.

02:30:24 - 02:30:28 | Speaker 4:

Oh, Mojo, that sounds like a question from experience there. Yeah, wait a second. Listen.

02:30:29 - 02:30:35 | Speaker 5:

Someone knows. I'm a fat guy breathing in a car if I'm sitting in a parking lot long enough. Kasia, what's up?

02:30:37 - 02:30:58 | Speaker 6:

Hi, Mojo. Hi, everyone. Hey, what's going on? Excited to meet you guys at Iris on Aonia this time. Woo-hoo! Yes. I am just going to warn Shannon to be careful. When I was in high school, my high school boyfriend and I were fooling around, and the cops snuck in, and I am now banned from a parking lot for the rest of my life. No.

02:30:58 - 02:31:01 | Speaker 4:

What parking lot are you banned from?

02:31:02 - 02:31:07 | Speaker 6:

It was somewhere south of Kalamazoo. I couldn't even tell you the parking lot.

02:31:07 - 02:31:09 | Speaker 4:

What kind of business was it? That's what I mean.

02:31:10 - 02:31:15 | Speaker 6:

So I believe it was like a place where a car auction maybe.

02:31:16 - 02:31:21 | Speaker 5:

What if you have to do legitimate business there? You have to take like an Uber or something?

02:31:23 - 02:31:25 | Speaker 6:

Beats me. I'm not sure.

02:31:25 - 02:31:29 | Speaker 4:

I mean, you were just kids, but you're lucky the cops just banned you from the parking lot.

02:31:29 - 02:31:39 | Speaker 5:

You know what I believe? It's a BS thing. Here's the reason why. Remember your teacher used to always say that it would be on your public record or on your permanent record forever?

02:31:39 - 02:31:39 | Speaker 1:

Permanent record.

02:31:40 - 02:31:48 | Speaker 5:

I don't believe that there is such thing of you're banned forever from the parking lot. What are they going to do? It's like an alarm system is going to go off when you pull into the parking lot?

02:31:49 - 02:31:52 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the morning is dirty on the 30.

02:31:52 - 02:31:54 | Speaker 5:

All right, Shannon, what you got in this hour is dirty on the 30.

02:31:55 - 02:32:07 | Speaker 1:

Everybody was so excited when Jamie Lee Curtis won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Everything Everywhere all at once last night. Everybody except for Angela Bassett, so it seems.

02:32:07 - 02:32:24 | Speaker 3:

To all of the people who have supported the genre movies that I have made for all these years, the thousands and hundreds of thousands of people, we just won an Oscar together!

02:32:25 - 02:33:17 | Speaker 1:

Both were nominated for Best Supporting Actress for their respective roles. But when it was announced that Jamie Lee won for Everything Everywhere All at Once, Angela just kind of, she looked maybe a little miffed. She didn't seem very thrilled, didn't clap or stand up. She was seated in the front row, looking stunning, by the way, on my best dress list last night for sure. But Twitter had lots of thoughts about this, lots of comments like this one. Regardless of who won that Oscar, Angela Bassett could have clapped for the winner. Now, some fans took Angela's side and said, Angela Bassett did the thing and she still gets snubbed. Another said, Angela Bassett is allowed to be visibly disappointed that she didn't win the Oscar. So it seemed like social media was divided up. You should have supported your fellow nominee. And others are saying, oh, no, we get it.

02:33:17 - 02:33:22 | Speaker 4:

It didn't stand out to me when I watched it. I didn't think she was that bitter. When you see the screen grabs, you're like, oh, man, she looks really angry.

02:33:23 - 02:33:33 | Speaker 5:

Well, you could hardly notice that she was sitting down because everybody else was standing up. Yeah. But when they went in on it on a close up afterwards, like after the show was over with on Twitter. Oh, my God.

02:33:33 - 02:33:54 | Speaker 4:

I do agree with those things. She's been long overdue, though. I feel like this nomination. I mean, Wakanda Forever was great, but I feel like they skipped her when she was Tina Turner. They skipped her for Malcolm X. They skipped her for Hal Stella got her groove back. So I was like, same with Jamie Lee Curtis. I feel like, you know, she also is awesome. But I think she was almost winning the award Because she has a body of work And she's never gotten there before

02:33:54 - 02:34:01 | Speaker 5:

I liked how Jamie Lee Curtis thanked all the fans Of all of her camping movies Like Halloween and stuff I thought that was cool that she did that

02:34:01 - 02:34:08 | Speaker 1:

Everything Everywhere All at Once took home Best Picture Along with Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh And Best Supporting Actor for K-Wai Kwan

02:34:08 - 02:34:43 | Speaker 2:

I owe everything To the love of my life My wife Echo Who who month after month year after year for 20 years told me that one day one day my time will come dreams are something you have to believe in i almost gave up on mine to all of you out there Please keep your dreams alive So sweet

02:34:43 - 02:34:58 | Speaker 1:

Brendan Fraser took home best actor For his role in The Whale That was a tight race That saw him beat out Austin Butler for Elvis And Colin Farrell for The Banshees Full list of winners on the Dirty Page Jimmy Kimmel taking on hosting duties For the third time around

02:35:00 - 02:35:31 | Speaker 3:

We want you to have fun, we want you to feel safe, and most importantly, we want me to feel safe. Nothing.

02:35:33 - 02:35:48 | Speaker 1:

And let's talk about Lady Gaga taking off the makeup, the fancy dress, for a black t-shirt and ripped jeans to do her nominated song from Top Gun Maverick. But don't you let go of my hand.

02:35:48 - 02:35:53 | Speaker 4:

And we didn't think she was going to, right? That's a surprise. A lot of rumors that she wasn't going to show up.

02:35:53 - 02:36:05 | Speaker 1:

Every last year. She was so phenomenal. I don't think my eyes, I took my eyes off the TV the entire time she was on.

02:36:05 - 02:36:17 | Speaker 4:

I think that was kind of smart how she does that, where she, like, stripped down.

02:36:17 - 02:36:19 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and the camera was really close to her.

02:36:20 - 02:36:26 | Speaker 2:

Because the song itself, I didn't think it was that great in the movie. But just hearing her do it, like you said, stripped down, is 20 times better.

02:36:27 - 02:37:21 | Speaker 1:

Justin Bieber didn't walk the red carpet with his wife Haley at the big Vanity Fair Oscars after party last night. But he was there. So Haley was posing on the Vanity Fair carpet at the event. And she looked stunning in this black floor-length St. Laurent gown. I'm told that he met her inside the event. He came in a back entrance and met Haley inside wearing, did you guys ever watch Roseanne back in the day? Do you know the Afghan that sat on the back of Roseanne's couch? Yes. That's what he was wearing. It was like a blanket, and that's what he had on. And everybody who was at that party said he was acting really strange, super quiet, super weird, kind of hunched over, wasn't talking to many people. So I don't know what the heck was going on. I don't know if he didn't want to walk the carpet because of this little feud that's happening between Haley and Selena. and Gomez and didn't want to be asked about it.

02:37:22 - 02:37:26 | Speaker 4:

See, I'm hearing he still has the effects of Bell's palsy.

02:37:26 - 02:37:30 | Speaker 1:

Or the Ramsey Huntson. Or Ramsey Huntson. Yeah, I don't know.

02:37:30 - 02:37:38 | Speaker 4:

They say that his face still has had some paralysis from that. So I think he's kind of still trying to hide it.

02:37:38 - 02:38:11 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, maybe. On Saturday, as is tradition, awards were handed out for not the best, but the worst films. The Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde got the golden raspberry or the Razzie for the worst movie of 2022 vampire movie Morbius co-stars. Jared Leto and Adria Arjona scored the Razzies for worst actor and worst supporting actress. Tom Hanks picking up the worst supporting actor trophy for his role in Elvis. And a waiter in Omaha, Nebraska got a pretty great tip from a customer of hers who just so happened to be Jason Derulo.

02:38:11 - 02:38:12 | Speaker 4:

Really?

02:38:13 - 02:38:40 | Speaker 1:

Jordan Schaefer was working tables at Charleston's restaurant when Jason walked in to grab a bite. Still managed to spend $795.99, to which Jason tacked on an extra five grand. Oh, my God. Jason. Is he making enough money these days to be able to do something like that? I don't know, but he retweeted or reposted the video that this server put on social media and said, blessed to be a blessing.

02:38:40 - 02:38:41 | Speaker 4:

Good for him.

02:38:41 - 02:38:46 | Speaker 1:

That's great. I thought that was so nice. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on mojointhemorning.com.

02:38:46 - 02:38:59 | Speaker 3:

Let's go! Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. And another world-famous phone scam is next. Go ahead and laugh at Spike's world-famous phone scam. But are you next?

02:38:59 - 02:39:00 | Speaker 1:

On Mojo in the Morning.

02:39:01 - 02:39:15 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning is your home of the phone scams. Adam and his friends are taking a day off for work to go drinking for St. Patrick's Day. They're going to come out with us. spike is going to call and bust him and pretend to be his boss who found out about his plans

02:39:15 - 02:39:58 | Speaker 2:

it's a mojo in the morning phone scam you're home with the phone scams i'm about to disrespect you right now this is mojo in the morning hello hello is this adam yeah this is adam hi adam my name is michael collins i'm the human resources director who started at the beginning of this year i don't think we've had a chance to meet in person yet.

02:40:00 - 02:40:01 | Speaker 4:

What do you mean?

02:40:02 - 02:40:37 | Speaker 2:

You're an adult now, and you can get hammered any time you want. You don't need a holiday. You hear what I'm saying? There's other ways to show your St. Patrick's Day spirit than getting polluted by noon on a workday. I don't understand. Okay, let's back up. You're allowed to take a vacation day to celebrate whatever you like or sit on the couch all day. But the problem here with them and the reason for my phone call is because you didn't use a vacation day. You called in sick in advance. So what are you planning on coming down with something at the end of the week?

02:40:38 - 02:40:42 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I have a doctor's appointment on that day.

02:40:43 - 02:40:53 | Speaker 2:

At the pub? I've been told by two different people that must not like you very much that you're actually taking the day off to go drinking for St. Patrick's Day with friends. That's not what sick days are for.

02:40:54 - 02:40:57 | Speaker 4:

Who told you that? I'm having a doctor's appointment.

02:40:57 - 02:40:59 | Speaker 2:

Are you having them do a DNA test?

02:41:00 - 02:41:00 | Speaker 4:

No.

02:41:01 - 02:41:04 | Speaker 2:

Your last name is Haddad. I mean, as far as I know, you're not Irish.

02:41:07 - 02:41:08 | Speaker 4:

Correct. I'm not.

02:41:08 - 02:41:14 | Speaker 2:

What about Teresa? While you're out enjoying green beer and bad decisions, she's here covering your whole department like a dedicated worker.

02:41:16 - 02:41:17 | Speaker 4:

Teresa's cool.

02:41:18 - 02:41:30 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, she's a model employee, if you ask me. You didn't take a vacation day for this Friday. So come put in your eight hours, go get a shamrock shake on your lunch break and call it a day. Got it?

02:41:31 - 02:41:33 | Speaker 4:

I already took the sick day.

02:41:33 - 02:41:42 | Speaker 2:

Right, because you're planning on being sick. Listen, you either bring in proper documentation to prove you are being medically treated or get your ass in here at 8.30 a.m. Do you understand what I'm saying?

02:41:44 - 02:41:49 | Speaker 4:

I talked to Brett, my manager, and he said, it's fine, I have sick days, so I can eat.

02:41:49 - 02:41:52 | Speaker 2:

Did you talk to Lois in Accounts Receivable?

02:41:53 - 02:41:55 | Speaker 4:

I don't even know who that is.

02:41:55 - 02:42:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you never met her because she got fired after trying to introduce Margarita Fridays on the third floor. Seems like you're not taking your job seriously, that you're arguing with me over how you can take a sick day. And then I feel like we're going to have the same conversation on 420 with you, maybe with Cinco de Mayo. Do you like this job or do you not like this job?

02:42:15 - 02:42:21 | Speaker 4:

I like my job. I spoke to Brett, and he said that everything was fine, that I could take a sick day.

02:42:21 - 02:42:41 | Speaker 2:

Brett doesn't get to change company policy. I'll tell you what. How about we just meet at the bar and drink to your health? We don't have to worry about a sick day. It is St. Patrick's Day, Adam. Yeah, I know. Then you should definitely be drinking with me and with all of us here. This is Spike from Mojo in the Morning Show. You've just been the victim of a phone scam.

02:42:42 - 02:42:44 | Speaker 4:

Oh, s***. I did not see that coming.

02:42:47 - 02:42:57 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. We heard you and a whole crew are coming down to drink with us. Yeah, it depends if we're on the radio right now. Right, yeah. I don't want to blow your cover.

02:42:59 - 02:43:16 | Speaker 3:

We will, we will scam you. If I could say anything I wanted to, I'd say that was f***ing funny s*** right there. I don't care who you are. It's the home of the world-famous phone scams. Mojo in the morning.

02:43:17 - 02:45:01 | Speaker 1:

budger in the morning you know who is uh back at the wings game over the weekend uh against the boston bruins but little george sweet little george the uh the kid who gained fame nationally when the four-year-old was spotted at the game not really making a lot of facial expressions or doing anything. He was kind of like just sitting there. Honestly, I don't know. Where's George from? Do we know what city he's from? Because George looks like a friend of mine that lives in Trenton. He just kind of looks like a buddy of mine whose name is Bob. is Bob from Trenton, and Bob from Trenton is one of those guys, he goes to a game, and you don't know if you just looked at his facial expression, whether the Wings, or in the case with Bob, we go to Pistons games together, if the Pistons are winning or losing, because his facial expression is always the same, but they put George up on the screen, up on their scoreboard, and the fans go crazy. They get nuts over him. he got a uh a autographed jersey too this is great oh this is awesome so they do they put george up on on uh what do the what do the wings call their uh their scoreboard oh they're i don't know that big jump Lobotron, they have a name for it.

02:45:01 - 02:45:26 | Speaker 3:

So they put George up, and then they put Bruins fans wearing, you know, Bruins jerseys. And then they go back and forth. And every time that George is up there, the crowd goes crazy for him. This is a Bruins fan. This is George. This is a Bruins fan. This is George.

02:45:27 - 02:45:29 | Speaker 2:

Texters are saying he's from Mary's family.

02:45:29 - 02:47:09 | Speaker 3:

He's from Marysville? Yes. He, by the way, George, is the cutest little kid ever and has no facial expression at all, although he was very excited when he ended up getting a jersey yesterday. So that was pretty cool. George Power, they're calling it. Jumbotron, the Red Wings Jumbotron. I got a bone to pick, by the way, with fans. I'm going to talk about this. So I was at a game, and the concessions take so long to get, you know, food or drink that you miss so much of the game when you're out there, you know, on the concourse getting concessions. And I'm standing in line, and I want to get, if I can, you know, pizza for Luke and hot dog for me and, you know, Coke and stuff like that. and the line must have been 30 minutes plus long. I mean, it was really, really long. And here's my bone to pick. And if you're one of these people, I apologize for calling you out, but I'm calling you out. When you're standing in that line, by the time that it comes for you to go put your order up there, you can't do what the two girls that were in front of me did, where they sat there going, I don't know what I want now. What are you going to get? I don't know what I want. And I'm like, we've been in line for 30 effing minutes. Yeah. By the time that you're in line, you've got to know what the heck you're going to order because you've just been standing there forever waiting. And at that point, were you going to joke and say that you're do that?

02:47:10 - 02:47:22 | Speaker 2:

No, no, I'm not going to joke. I'm being very serious. Okay, but have you ever gotten to the counter and then all of a sudden something that wasn't on the menu that's hidden behind like pretzels or something is there and you're like, oh,

02:47:22 - 02:47:26 | Speaker 3:

You see the menu. You can see the menu.

02:47:26 - 02:47:33 | Speaker 2:

What do you got, bad vision? No, the big stuff you can see. Mike. But if there's like a hidden candy that you didn't know was there and you're like, oh, my God, look at that.

02:47:33 - 02:47:39 | Speaker 3:

Well, then just say I'm going to get the Nerds on the Rope, too, to add to my other stuff that I'm going to order that I already thought I was going to order.

02:47:40 - 02:47:43 | Speaker 2:

Well, what if I don't know what I want because they just switched the whole game up on me?

02:47:43 - 02:47:43 | Speaker 3:

Mike.

02:47:43 - 02:47:45 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. Do I want pretzels?

02:47:45 - 02:48:03 | Speaker 3:

You're the reason why I've missed half of the next period because you're up there trying to figure out what they're doing. the hell you want mike uh question for you with going to uh going to a game and stuff like that sure you don't already know what you're going to order by the time that you walk into the stadium

02:48:03 - 02:48:21 | Speaker 2:

um okay so i what will usually happen is the kids will change their mind 800 times but i will say that i like to pick one of three things like there are either one nachos pretzels or maybe maybe pizza maybe but it depends sometimes they have new things too and i want to try the new

02:48:21 - 02:48:29 | Speaker 3:

Am I crazy and to think this, Mike, that I go into restaurants knowing what I'm going to order before I even walk into the restaurant?

02:48:29 - 02:48:30 | Speaker 2:

Why? You don't want to try something new?

02:48:31 - 02:48:46 | Speaker 1:

That always cracks me up because most people in my life, all the women in my life, look at the menu first before we leave the house, decide exactly what they're going to get. Like you, Mojo, and I don't get that because you don't know. There's going to be specials. There's going to be something you might not see is on the chalkboard.

02:48:46 - 02:48:48 | Speaker 3:

I'm efficient with my food.

02:48:48 - 02:48:51 | Speaker 1:

And I don't know what I'm going to be in the mood for six hours from now.

02:48:52 - 02:49:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. See, I want, listen, I already kind of have an idea. Like, if we know, if we're going to go somewhere, you name a place, I know what I'm going to have. We go to Red Coat, I'm either getting the Rustique salad or I'm getting a burger. We go to Red Robin, I'm either getting the grilled chicken sandwich, the California chicken burger, or I'm going to get a Red Robin burger, possibly a double. We go to, let's see here, we go to the Lodge. I know I'm going to do nachos and a bowl of chili. Bingo.

02:49:20 - 02:49:22 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. You never want to try anything different?

02:49:22 - 02:50:00 | Speaker 3:

No. And if I'm going to a Red Wings game, I'm always going to get, I would like to get popcorn. If I can get popcorn, because I love popcorn at a game, or peanuts in that case. And I always try to see if, you know, Luke always gets a Little Caesars pizza, and I usually try to get a hot dog or something. I try to, you know, there's nothing better than a hot dog that I know was cooked on a Monday game that they're selling on a Saturday game because it was left over. I can always tell, by the way, that that's the that's the case, Mike. I don't need to like these girls that were in front 30 minutes. I'm not kidding you saying it was a long time. I looked down.

02:50:00 - 02:50:14 | Speaker 4:

I look down at my watch, and I'm sitting there watching the tick, tick, tick, tick, and I'm getting frustrated how slow the line's going. And then I get up to the front. I'm realizing it's not the people that work behind the counter's fault. It's the people in line who don't have their orders ready.

02:50:15 - 02:50:20 | Speaker 2:

Right. When you knew there's a long line behind you, so you could have easily assembled what you wanted to get.

02:50:20 - 02:50:23 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Mojo in the morning? What's going on, Misfit Victor? How are you?

02:50:24 - 02:50:24 | Speaker 2:

Hey, good morning.

02:50:24 - 02:50:26 | Speaker 5:

Long time list, our first-time caller.

02:50:26 - 02:50:30 | Speaker 4:

Hey, congratulations to Wolverines on making it to the NIT. against Toledo.

02:50:31 - 02:50:48 | Speaker 5:

Oh, good for you and Michigan State who got spanked by them two weeks ago. Oh, give me a break. Tommy's little sucks anyways. But anyway, you might have just invented, imagine DoorDash for stadiums. Yes. Where you're sitting in your seat and you put in your order and some guy brings it to you and it's already paid for it.

02:50:48 - 02:50:51 | Speaker 4:

Well, they do kind of have that if you sit in the really good seats.

02:50:52 - 02:50:54 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, but we don't all have mojo money.

02:50:54 - 02:51:02 | Speaker 4:

Or if you sit in those club levels at Little Caesars Arena, they do have like those little clubs where you can go up there and order or get the food with

02:51:02 - 02:51:17 | Speaker 2:

your tickets i went to a theater show a couple weeks ago and i saw a sticker a qr code on the chair yeah they do that now was it the fisher or the opera house and they said they'll bring their order to you and i thought yeah does that seem maybe like you're gonna interrupt the play for

02:51:17 - 02:51:22 | Speaker 1:

people they'll only do it they'll do it during intermission oh they'll do it during intermission

02:51:22 - 02:51:32 | Speaker 5:

A lot of times People at Little Caesars take forever to order Because their prices are so high They have to apply for a mortgage That is true

02:51:32 - 02:51:34 | Speaker 4:

It is so expensive

02:51:34 - 02:51:55 | Speaker 5:

Being in the business My favorite thing is when people call for a carryout order And you say Okay what can I get for you And they do this Oh god what am I going to have Hang up on them Let me think Oh god And I'm like, did I call you? Right.

02:51:56 - 02:52:00 | Speaker 4:

By the way, we called out Lulu's this morning. I don't know if you heard it.

02:52:00 - 02:52:03 | Speaker 5:

We did. No. I was listening to 89X.

02:52:04 - 02:52:07 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. 89X. What show is on there nowadays?

02:52:07 - 02:52:11 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. I don't know. Was it Frank and the Freak on there or whatever?

02:52:11 - 02:52:24 | Speaker 4:

Question for you. Shannon said that she thinks that if somebody brings a Saganaki to your table and doesn't scream Opa out, like, really energetically, she asks them to redo it.

02:52:24 - 02:52:29 | Speaker 1:

No, I said it ruins the experience. Yeah. I want someone who's like, Opa, you know, who gets really excited.

02:52:29 - 02:52:39 | Speaker 4:

I said at Lulu's, it drives me crazy. You guys don't light the Saganaki at the table. I want to make sure that that waitress has the fear of God in her face.

02:52:40 - 02:52:50 | Speaker 5:

We stopped doing it because there were a couple near misses on injuries and lighting people on fire. Really? I think I sent you a couple of the videos before.

02:52:50 - 02:52:52 | Speaker 3:

Oh, God. Yeah.

02:52:52 - 02:53:00 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. But that's why. It was a safety hazard thing. It wasn't because of whatever.

02:53:00 - 02:53:04 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. All right, Misfit Victor, we'll talk to you later. Go blue.

02:53:05 - 02:53:09 | Speaker 2:

Then you've got to take it off the menu because there's only one reason people are ordering Saganaki.

02:53:09 - 02:53:19 | Speaker 6:

Can I say one of my favorite things about our callers is when they're ordering McDonald's in the drive-thru, and then they say, one second, I'll give my comment right after I place my name. Oh, my goodness, drives me crazy.

02:53:20 - 02:53:26 | Speaker 3:

You knew you were next in line at the drive-thru. Why are you calling us? I do that to people all the time, though. I do. I got to.

02:53:27 - 02:53:29 | Speaker 4:

That's called pulling a mojo.

02:53:29 - 02:53:29 | Speaker 3:

That's a great one, Lydia.

02:53:30 - 02:54:00 | Speaker 4:

Lydia, the funniest was our old, and today would have been his birthday, Norm Schrott, our old agent Norm. I just saw that on my calendar. Our old agent Norm used to say, what drive-thru are you in now? Because every time I would talk to him Was on my way home And I would always stop in a drive-thru And he would play a little game with me When I first called him up Of Jersey Mike's McDonald's, Burger King Long John Silver's If I was going to throw him really off I'd pull in one of those

02:54:00 - 02:54:03 | Speaker 2:

You said it the nice way He would have thrown a few F words He would

02:54:03 - 02:54:48 | Speaker 4:

One time he started ordering Over the phone on my Bluetooth And I get up to the counter And they go That'll be $37.45 I'm like, I ordered one meal. All right, Mojo in the morning show. Second date update. If you are ever not getting a call back and you want a date, want to find out why you're not getting a date, we're going to tell you in a second here how you can do second date update. 02:54:49 - 02:54:52 | Speaker 5:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

02:54:52 - 02:55:00 | Speaker 4:

Alex not getting a call back, and we're going to find out what the story is. If you are not getting a call back after you went out with your phone,

02:55:00 - 02:55:14 | Speaker 1:

someone you can text date to nine five five zero zero we'll get you on a future show so alec how did you guys meet hey yeah we met online okay so you guys went out on a date and what'd you do

02:55:14 - 02:55:21 | Speaker 5:

uh yeah we went out for drinks and um and now i haven't heard from her i don't really know what's

02:55:21 - 02:55:28 | Speaker 1:

happening so out for drinks did you guys uh get together afterwards like did you guys go back to Her place, your place?

02:55:28 - 02:55:31 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Well, we came back to my, we went back to my house.

02:55:33 - 02:55:36 | Speaker 1:

Did you guys do anything besides just hang out or did you guys fool around at all?

02:55:38 - 02:55:40 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Watched a movie.

02:55:40 - 02:55:41 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay.

02:55:41 - 02:55:43 | Speaker 6:

That's nice. Like heavy petting or all the stuff?

02:55:45 - 02:56:04 | Speaker 1:

All the stuff. And she's not calling you back. This is, by the way, I just want you to know something. This is payback for all of the guys that haven't called back women over the years with our second date update. to hear a guy not getting a call back. Marie is on the phone. We'll find out what the story is, okay? Marie, are you okay with your voice on the radio?

02:56:06 - 02:56:06 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:56:07 - 02:56:08 | Speaker 1:

You're okay, Marie?

02:56:08 - 02:56:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:56:10 - 02:56:18 | Speaker 1:

Marie, we have Alec on the phone with us who went on a date with you, says that you haven't been returning his call. Will you say hello to him?

02:56:20 - 02:56:21 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Alec.

02:56:21 - 02:56:25 | Speaker 1:

Hey. Is it true that you're not returning his phone call

02:56:25 - 02:56:29 | Speaker 2:

or is it just a misunderstanding?

02:56:30 - 02:56:31 | Speaker 1:

No, it is true. Why is that?

02:56:33 - 02:57:14 | Speaker 2:

So on our second date, we went out for drinks, and then he invited me back to his place, and I went, and I walked in, and it was very cute. There were candles everywhere. It smelled really good. There were these cute little throw pillows on the couch, decorations on the wall. It was just very kind of alarming a little bit because obviously this is like a single man's place. And I didn't think too much of it until I asked for the Wi-Fi password and noticed that it said Alec Sidney Home. And I didn't really know what to do with that.

02:57:15 - 02:57:18 | Speaker 6:

And that's not his last name. No.

02:57:18 - 02:57:23 | Speaker 1:

So Alec and then Sidney spelled like Sidney, the girl's name.

02:57:23 - 02:57:26 | Speaker 2:

Yes, like a girl's name.

02:57:26 - 02:57:38 | Speaker 1:

So you're looking at his apartment, seeing how nice it is. It was nicely decorated, thinking there's no way a guy came up with these decoration plans. And you're thinking that there's somebody else possibly there in the Wi-Fi. Alec, who is Sydney?

02:57:40 - 02:57:41 | Speaker 4:

She's my sister.

02:57:42 - 02:57:47 | Speaker 1:

So wait a second. So your sister's on your Wi-Fi? Do you guys live together?

02:57:48 - 02:57:57 | Speaker 4:

Well, yeah, she used to live with me, and then she moved out. But, you know how hard it's to, like, change those things? It's like, I can't believe that was such a big deal.

02:57:58 - 02:57:59 | Speaker 7:

Okay.

02:58:00 - 02:58:06 | Speaker 6:

Wait, so why didn't you just ask? I would have just said it was Sydney. I don't know. I would have been curious.

02:58:07 - 02:58:16 | Speaker 2:

I mean, it just felt very odd, I guess. I don't know. I didn't want to bring it up and it'd be, like, a whole thing.

02:58:18 - 02:58:20 | Speaker 6:

But now it's an even bigger thing.

02:58:20 - 02:58:26 | Speaker 1:

Did you think that he would be bold enough to bring a girl back with him to his place that he lives with another girl in?

02:58:27 - 02:58:35 | Speaker 2:

You know, I really don't know. I've gone on dates before where there's been crazier things that have happened. So I just honestly was just like, I'm just going to avoid this.

02:58:35 - 02:58:47 | Speaker 1:

Did you look around to see if there was any other indication that there was a girl that lived there? Like, did you look around for pictures or to see, you know, what the closet looked like, if there was women's clothes in the closet?

02:58:48 - 02:58:57 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I looked around as much as I could, but, like, I didn't want to seem like I was snooping in his closet or anything. So, no, I didn't look in the closet, but.

02:58:57 - 02:59:04 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Like Shannon said, just asking would be the most direct, easy, simple way to figure out what's going on.

02:59:04 - 02:59:13 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. One, I'd be curious, and like he just said, it's such a simple explanation, and you could have went on with, like, you already had two dates. It was going really well.

02:59:13 - 02:59:21 | Speaker 1:

Was this before or after you guys had kind of had some fun with each other that you saw the Wi-Fi?

02:59:23 - 02:59:24 | Speaker 2:

So it was after.

02:59:24 - 02:59:25 | Speaker 1:

Okay. All right.

02:59:25 - 02:59:37 | Speaker 2:

I just kind of noticed all the stuff prior and didn't think much of it. I couldn't really tell if it was a red flag or a green flag at the time, but I was like, you know what? Maybe he's just a really clean person. All right. And, yeah.

02:59:37 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 1:

I want to throw this out there for a topic, and then I want to ask you about a possibility of you guys going on another date with each other. But I want to throw this out there. Has anybody ever done that where they've gone on a date, gone back to a person's apartment only to find out that they were in a relationship? And what was it that was the indicator to you that they were actually in another relationship and you were part of like?

03:00:00 - 03:00:14 | Speaker 6:

a cheating situation uh 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 um what about another date alec would you like to go on another date with marie if she was willing to go on another date with you yeah absolutely i

03:00:14 - 03:00:20 | Speaker 1:

i thought it was going really well and we had a great time um i'd absolutely be down to go on

03:00:20 - 03:00:26 | Speaker 3:

another date marie are you good with that uh yeah i mean i'd be down i think it just kind of freaked

03:00:26 - 03:00:43 | Speaker 6:

me a little bit and we'll pay for it yeah we'll figure it out and also i can probably get xfinity if you have xfinity i can probably get xfinity to to maybe give you guys and maybe maybe even i'll talk to uh kendall at xfinity maybe we can get like a i don't know 90 days of free uh wi-fi or

03:00:43 - 03:01:01 | Speaker 3:

something what's up anita how you doing well hello mojo and fam over there so i i think this is pretty common my husband actually still has his ex-girlfriend's name on the wi-fi and he just never changed it like you said it's not the easiest thing in the world to change you just

03:01:01 - 03:01:13 | Speaker 6:

leave it yeah i bet you that that that is common the wi-fi is but i bet you also passwords for streaming services you know i bet you that's a common thing emergency contacts if you have an

03:01:13 - 03:01:30 | Speaker 5:

alarm system there's an ex-boyfriend i have told them so many times i do not have anything to do with him anymore and he is still on my account when you call the alarm company it's like a joke at this point but yeah those things sometimes can be you know slightly tough to change jeremy

03:01:30 - 03:01:36 | Speaker 6:

what's up it's mojo in the morning jeremy how you doing good good good what's up what's going on

03:01:36 - 03:01:52 | Speaker 2:

what you want to say oh yeah you know she had sex with the guy and then she turned around and And for his wife, that's just wrong. That's why she's single. I wouldn't go back on a date with Mary.

03:01:52 - 03:02:00 | Speaker 6:

Wait, you're telling Alec not to take another date with Marie? I wouldn't. What? It's an honest mistake, though.

03:02:01 - 03:02:06 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, I don't know. She's kind of heartless, maybe.

03:02:06 - 03:02:11 | Speaker 6:

I don't know. I think that you're being too judgmental on that one. I think it's an honest mistake.

03:02:11 - 03:02:13 | Speaker 2:

No, he's too judgmental, though, Mojo.

03:02:13 - 03:02:18 | Speaker 6:

Jeremy, you know how difficult it is out there right now dating? Come on, man. What's going on, Jen?

03:02:20 - 03:02:29 | Speaker 4:

I just want to say you have Xfinity. Download the Xfinity app. You can change the name and password of your Wi-Fi. There you go. So easy.

03:02:29 - 03:02:35 | Speaker 6:

That's a nice plug. Are you saying that maybe that there is something more to the Lindsay part?

03:02:37 - 03:02:41 | Speaker 4:

I don't really know. I do think that people need to learn To communicate better

03:02:41 - 03:02:50 | Speaker 6:

Should Marie ask for proof though That he's got a sister And see if she can talk to Before she goes on the next date

03:02:50 - 03:03:07 | Speaker 4:

If she wants to I mean you know She can ask about the password So I don't know I would have just asked about the Wi-Fi I would have just asked about it Like I don't You know I just I don't know

03:03:07 - 03:03:15 | Speaker 6:

Shelby actually was on a date with someone. You were back at their place only to realize that the person that you were on a date with was cheating?

03:03:17 - 03:03:26 | Speaker 2:

Yes, sir. I found, I mean, the shower door was open, but they had Joyco purple shampoo in the shower. Whoops.

03:03:27 - 03:03:29 | Speaker 4:

There's another woman in that shower.

03:03:29 - 03:03:32 | Speaker 5:

Expensive shampoo to help keep your blonde blonde.

03:03:33 - 03:03:37 | Speaker 2:

Thankfully, I found that long before anything else happened. Oh, good.

03:03:37 - 03:03:40 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. Thank you for the call. I appreciate it.

03:03:40 - 03:03:41 | Speaker 2:

Have a good day.

03:03:41 - 03:03:44 | Speaker 6:

All right, guys, hang on. We're going to get you guys set up for another date, okay?

03:03:45 - 03:03:51 | Speaker 2:

Great. Sounds good. All right, top trending stories.

03:03:52 - 03:04:18 | Speaker 6:

Annual reminder, crimes skyrocket after clocks spring forward. Daylight savings time means that crimes skyrocket, according to FBI crime data. when the clocks are moved forward. That's interesting. I never knew that. I always knew that there was a lot of car accidents, but I didn't know that there was, or at least they've said that the car accident statistics go up too.

03:04:18 - 03:04:20 | Speaker 2:

Do they ever mention why they think that happens?

03:04:20 - 03:05:00 | Speaker 6:

It's interesting. The study finds that most common offenses during this time are impersonation of people, identity theft, and stolen property incidents. They say people's guard is let down, and they say that that's one of the reasons why it ends up happening. Also, they say that people for some reason don't go in during this time and update passwords and they tell you that you should use this as a reminder to do it. But the findings show that robbery, motor vehicle theft, counterfeiting forgery, and the theft of motor vehicle parts are the biggest things that...

03:05:00 - 03:05:12 | Speaker 4:

happen when daylight savings time happens. I heard this. This is Neil Degrassi Tyson who came out speaking about why they should never change this. It's a little

03:05:12 - 03:05:38 | Speaker 3:

weird because no one cares when the sun is up or down anymore. We eat when we want. We go to work when we want. We don't say, oh, it's getting dark. Let's go home. Who says that? And so daylight saving, I think, has outlived its utility. It's a charming remembrance of When streets were lit by gas lamps and when sunlight was an important part of how you conducted your day, now it's really irrelevant.

03:05:38 - 03:05:54 | Speaker 4:

They actually say that they're talking that this is the year that Congress will enact, that it will go away, but it probably wouldn't go away until another year or so. So it wouldn't be until 2025, I believe, that they would possibly get rid of it.

03:05:54 - 03:06:03 | Speaker 6:

It's so funny, in election years, it's always something that people bring up while they're running for office, and then nothing ever happens. And it never happens, yeah. And obviously, it's the majority of Americans want to see it go away.

03:06:04 - 03:07:06 | Speaker 4:

Another thing that's kind of scary, did you see the banks? There's two big banks right now that are having major financial issues. Signature Bank and the Silicon Valley Bank. both of these banks are being faced with what happened back in 2008, where the banks basically ended up closing up, leaving a lot of people who had money in those banks not protected. If you're into a bank for more than, I guess, what is it, $250,000 or whatever, you're not FDIC insured protected. And I had heard a story about how that could be like all your investments total not just in one account so if you have like you know a house or you have like your investments that there could be issues with that well the government had to step in and had to do something about this and just about an hour ago the president spoke about this and how they're going to go in and take over these two banks and here are the highlights first all

03:07:06 - 03:08:24 | Speaker 1:

customers who had deposits in these banks can rest assured i'm gonna rest assured they'll be protect it, and they'll have access to their money as of today. That includes small businesses across the country that bank there and need to make payroll, pay their bills, and stay open for business. No losses will be, and I want, this is an important point, no losses will be borne by the taxpayers. Let me repeat that. No losses will be borne by the taxpayers. Instead, the money will come from the fees that banks pay into the deposit insurance fund. Because of the actions of that because of the actions that our regulators have already taken, every American should feel confident that their deposits will be there if and when they need them. Second, the management of these banks will be fired. If the bank is taken over by FDIC, the people running the bank should not work there anymore. Third, investors in the banks will not be protected. They knowingly took a risk, And when the risk didn't pay off, investors lose their money. That's how capitalism works. And fourth, there are important questions of how these banks got into the circumstance in the first place. We must get the full accounting of what happened and why those responsible can be held accountable.

03:08:24 - 03:08:31 | Speaker 4:

Now, obviously, he's talking about some of the people that just had money in those banks. But there are major companies that do have money in those banks and use them for their payroll.

03:08:31 - 03:08:47 | Speaker 2:

I noticed so many businesses that I've purchased something, you know, an item or apparel or something from, were sending out emails and messages on social media. They were having like a 40% off sale just trying to get some cash while this was happening.

03:08:47 - 03:08:53 | Speaker 4:

Two of the big businesses that you know is Roku and Roblox are the two big businesses that have money with them.

03:08:53 - 03:09:10 | Speaker 6:

I'm glad to hear them say that they've got to start holding people responsible because the last time this all happened back in 07, 08, The people that are responsible for the disaster kept collecting their million dollar checks and being in positions of power. And it's, you know, while they risked everybody's money they gamble with, they didn't lose any money.

03:09:11 - 03:09:20 | Speaker 4:

The president said it's not a bailout like was done in 08, but it's the FDIC taking over the bank. And here's the reason why they said that they had to do this.

03:09:20 - 03:09:39 | Speaker 5:

I think that without this, there could have been some serious runs on other banks because there would have been a loss of confidence throughout the whole system. Now, people who have more than $250,000 in bank accounts don't have to worry about that anymore.

03:09:39 - 03:10:00 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, like we there's a lot of companies, even if you don't bank with those two banks, companies you deal with might use it for like payroll for their companies. It's like a trickle down thing where it affects so many other people. and people in other banks start pulling out their money they start getting nervous and then that's where like he said the bank runs can be a major lead into a depression that we don't

03:10:00 - 03:11:12 | Speaker 4:

three more people missing in mexico uh these are oh really yeah they're women from texas that went across the border to sell clothing at a flea market that was just over the the border um and now it has caused for uh the texas law authorities uh to come out urging travelers to not go to mexico again they're saying that it is just just too dangerous and they're talking not just by people driving over but also people flying over the border uh watch out for a giant blob of seaweed twice the width of uh of the u.s that's coming towards the western part of florida right now i'm sorry the eastern part of florida right now they say this giant seaweed bloom is heading towards the the florida coast and they're saying that it is 5 000 miles wide in twice the width of the united states holy wow wow they're trying to intercept it right now and break it up this comes as the um red tide has been really bad too which is the the smell and the selfish yeah dead fish

03:11:12 - 03:11:28 | Speaker 3:

smell that's going on so the i know the issue is boats can't go through this they got to steer around thousands of miles but also i think part of the problem is if it washes up on shore it would take hundreds of trucks to like clean up and remove it and where would they put it

03:11:28 - 03:11:40 | Speaker 4:

and a couple of airline stories that i wanted to bring up before uh we ended today did you hear this the story about that luftanza uh passenger plane you know that member you talked about with

03:11:40 - 03:11:42 | Speaker 3:

Matthew McConaughey and his wife were on it. Yeah.

03:11:42 - 03:12:11 | Speaker 4:

It went 4,000 feet down and people were freaking out because all the masks started coming down out of the ceiling and people were freaking out because of the turbulence and stuff. Did you hear what the flight attendants were saying over the loudspeaker system that has now come out? No. They were telling passengers on that rocky flight that they needed to delete photos and videos so that they couldn't be shown on social media.

03:12:12 - 03:12:13 | Speaker 3:

Like, anybody's going to listen, though.

03:12:13 - 03:12:46 | Speaker 4:

And now the people that were on that flight are saying they seem like they were a little shady as an airline that they were doing this. And speaking of shady— And what airline was that? Lufthansa. Oh, yeah, yeah. And speaking of shady, Frontier Airlines is now under fire. Frontier Airlines has been paying bonuses to their gate employees to charge you for your bags, saying, in many cases, lying to you, saying that your bags are too big for the overhead.

03:12:47 - 03:12:47 | Speaker 3:

Oh, wow.

03:12:47 - 03:12:49 | Speaker 4:

And they're giving kickbacks.

03:12:49 - 03:13:32 | Speaker 1:

Hey, guys. So I've been getting a lot of comments like this that they do get commissions, bonuses, et cetera. well anyway one of the frontier airline um flight attendants messaged me and she's like hey i'm so tired we've been getting so many complaints and then people like complain to us etc and based on what that person told me is that they get a 10 commission for each person that they um charge the that 100 per bag um there so yeah they're like on the lookout trying to see who has like the tiniest or like a bag that could like you know pass as like not fitting but obviously like they fit um they're just being very very petty about it and they're trying to get that commission

03:13:32 - 03:14:05 | Speaker 4:

so that's how they're making their bank isn't that amazing that is absolutely insane so busted and uh now you're aware yeah i i always you know feel bad we were the the last to get boarded tony and, you know, his son, Christopher, and myself. And I always feel like it sucks if you sit in the back of the plane and you're the last to get boarded, you don't ever get any of the overhead space. Right. And I almost think that they need to do it where every now and again they board from the back up to the front.

03:14:06 - 03:14:16 | Speaker 3:

You know what I mean? I think they do that now because they're charging extra for people to book their own seats and they have the upfront Delta Comfort. So they want those people that paid more to get on first. To get on first, yeah.

03:14:17 - 03:14:23 | Speaker 4:

I just like to see them screw it up one time and say, if you're in row 65, come on up. You're next to the bathroom.

03:14:23 - 03:14:36 | Speaker 3:

It was only eight or nine years ago. They always boarded from the back because you board a lot faster because you're not waiting for some person to get situated in their seat and put their bags away because no one's in your way if you start from the back.

03:14:36 - 03:14:46 | Speaker 4:

I saw somebody go up there when they did the military thing where they say, if you're a member of the military, you can get on board. And I saw them actually ask for an identification and they had to show identification.

03:14:46 - 03:14:48 | Speaker 2:

I don't think that's bad.

03:14:49 - 03:15:00 | Speaker 4:
