This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:02:14 - 00:02:17 | Unknown:

Showtime.

00:02:44 - 00:03:16 | Speaker 4:

Good morning and welcome to the world-famous Mojo in the Morning Show. It is nice to have you here with us today.

00:03:17 - 00:03:23 | Speaker 2:

We got a memo. Did we all get the gray sweatshirt memo today? Is it? Everybody?

00:03:24 - 00:03:27 | Speaker 4:

Mike, what you wearing? I can't see you. Wow.

00:03:27 - 00:03:29 | Speaker 1:

A little lacy thing. A little lacy number.

00:03:29 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 4:

Do you have a gray sweatshirt on? Because if you have a gray sweatshirt on, then we're on Team Aguirre.

00:03:34 - 00:03:34 | Speaker 2:

Uh-uh.

00:03:35 - 00:04:52 | Speaker 4:

All right. You're in the second team then, all right? First team. Do you remember when you played sports and it was the coach would... The coach would have what was called pennies, which were like the little jerseys that you would put on to decide who was going to be on one team, who was going to be on the other. And you always wanted the blue one or the green one or whatever it was. You never wanted to have the white one because if you got the white one, you were on the B team. And you were basically on the team that had to get beat up by the other team. And I always hated it when coaches would do – I know that they didn't do this with Megan, with your team. they would do shirts and skins when they would do and they did this in gym class too when we were probably middle school and sometimes in high school they would be like alright we're going to play basketball today guys shirts and skins and they would look at me and put me on the skins one and the skins one basically was you take your shirt off and you're the guy playing every kid and honestly I was not fearful of taking my shirt off for some reason because I knew this basketball nobody would guard me because they did not want to get close to the sloppy sweaty guy that was about to uh to be in there so and i was the little guy who's

00:04:52 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 1:

like trying to guard the big guy like that and his head would go in his armpit It was the only thing that I had that was an advantage, and that was I was hairy, sweaty, and fat. So I was on the skins team. I vowed that I would never do shirts and skins when I coached middle school basketball.

00:05:17 - 00:05:19 | Speaker 2:

That's the reason I wouldn't play is humiliating.

00:05:19 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 1:

You're not going – I'm not going to do that. First off, I don't think that they can do it anymore because nowadays you'd probably get in trouble for doing it. But I would never do that. Just like if I was a teacher, I would never go around the room asking people to read.

00:05:32 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 3:

Thank you. Hated that. They don't do that anymore. Good. Because I was the kid who I had to be put in the room with no windows, and it was one-on-one because I couldn't read to save my life.

00:05:43 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 1:

You got the reading tutor lady.

00:05:44 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 3:

Oh, it was. Well, they were kind of mean. They were so mean.

00:05:48 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 2:

They were so like. I would get such bad anxiety about that that I would look around the room and I would count and try to chunk up the paragraphs in my head and figure out which one I was going to have to read and, like, practice it. Same with me. I'd try to memorize it. Before I had to do it out loud.

00:06:02 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 1:

I loved it, but I just made up words. I never actually read it. I just started saying things.

00:06:07 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 3:

My brother and I both did this where we would read the first two letters and then just guess what the rest of the word was based on the length and keep going, and they'd be like, that's not the word. I was like, well.

00:06:15 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. The trauma from school. I feel like I might be causing trauma for Lucy today, by the way. I need you guys to help me feel like not a bad mom. Please. What's going on? Well, you're just looking at me. You're not going to help me feel like not a bad mom. No, I'm wondering because, you know. So she had a little stomach bug over the weekend. So like Saturday, Sunday, she was puking red, which is really fun puke to clean up, by the way. And just like wasn't feeling well. So I kept her home from school on Monday because she had a little bit of a fever. She wasn't vomiting anymore, which was good. But then yesterday, I was in a huge predicament. I woke her up in the middle of the night. No more fever. Again, she hadn't been vomiting, you know, for an entire day. And so I said, you know, do you feel okay enough to go to school? And she said, well, my stomach still kind of hurts a little bit. And I'm like, oh, no, okay. Well, try to go to school because mom doesn't have anybody to watch you. I have work. Andrew's out of town. Wes is out of town. My mom's out of town. Andrew's parents are out of town. My dad and my stepmom, thank God my stepmom had the day off of work on Monday and was able to watch her. That's why I had my babysitter goes to another job after she gets my kids off to school. So I was like stuck. Oh, my gosh. So I said, try to go to school. I know you still have a stomachache, but I think you can power through school. You don't have a fever. You're not throwing up or going to the bathroom anymore. You're good, girl. You got this. Mojo, you were in the studio yesterday when I got the phone call. It was like 1045 from the school secretary, who's actually a friend of mine.

00:07:42 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 1:

We actually talked about it on our podcast. Oh, did you?

00:07:45 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:07:45 - 00:07:51 | Speaker 1:

Because we talked about how back in the day you had to go to an official nurse. Nowadays you just pretty much tell them you don't feel good

00:07:51 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 2:

And they call mom So I had to leave here a little bit early And go get her And so she was good yesterday Last night Kind of said oh my stomach is Hurting me again and I said okay Here's the thing It's a half day, today is a half day I said it's a half day tomorrow And remember a bunch of your friends And the moms are getting together to go out to lunch And then we're doing this big group park play date. So if you don't go to school, you can't do the big fun lunch in the park play date. Oh my god, you remember that when you were in school? The moral dilemma now. And she's like, I think I can go to school. So she's going to school today. But I'm still like, ugh. I hate being in a situation of like...

00:08:36 - 00:08:40 | Speaker 1:

Do you think that she's not feeling well? Or do you think that she's not wanting to go to school?

00:08:40 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 2:

Well, I mean, she legitimately was sick over the weekend. And Monday, I'm happy I kept her home. Yesterday, when I went to pick her up I could tell she wasn't feeling great because she wasn't really talkative and you know loose yeah she's talker she's you know she's she's pretty chatty but

00:08:56 - 00:09:30 | Speaker 1:

yeah um today is like you know I'm because I don't know it always amazed me and I we might have talked about this in the podcast but always amazed me when the kids weren't feeling well and it was you know hey they're not feeling well and Chell said something going on so I would go pick them up and it was very few and far between but we would be driving home and they would go Can we get McDonald's I'd be like wait a second You just said you're not feeling well But McDonald's always makes things better Or they would come home And they would be right on their video games And I'd be like no no no You gotta go upstairs in your room I'm sorry you gotta watch The Price is Right

00:09:30 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 2:

But I'm trying to read her But I'm like inside right now My stomach hurts because I feel like a terrible mother But I'm like but she really wants to go to this I don't know

00:09:41 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 3:

And to defend the kids sometimes you just need to be near your own bathroom and at the school bed well everybody's around and all your classmates and teachers right and that's what she told me

00:09:51 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

yesterday when i picked her up she's like mom my stomach is hurting and i just didn't want to have to go diarrhea at school i'm like i get it

00:10:00 - 00:10:02 | Speaker 5:

I get that 100%, Lou.

00:10:02 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 1:

Who wants to go diarrhea in school, right? I don't even want to go pee in school.

00:10:06 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 4:

She would kill me if she knew I said that on the air. You can still play video games and have to go to the bathroom.

00:10:13 - 00:10:41 | Speaker 1:

All right, so it's the dilemma of what do you do? And I know that we have parents that are listening right now. We also probably have teachers that are listening right now. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. And I feel like nowadays, you know, everything kind of changed because it became a situation where it was like if you had just a little sniffle, it was like, you know, you can't go to school. But I think things are starting to go back a little bit.

00:10:41 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 5:

Well, and it's hard, too, because, like, Smith is five. He's in pre-K, right? He's in a young fives is what they call it. And so the director of his school was like, if the kids have a runny nose, please do not send them to school. Smith has had a running nose for five years of his life. You know what I mean? So it's so hard, too, to distinguish, like, are they really sick? Is this? I don't know.

00:11:05 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 2:

Especially with, like, anxiety and stuff, too, if things aren't going well at school.

00:11:08 - 00:11:29 | Speaker 1:

That was the thing that I noticed with, you know, myself was I never really went to go to the front office to say I was sick. If it was I was sick, it was that I didn't want to be in the next class. or I didn't want to, there was somebody that was picking on me or there was something kind of going on. Lauren, what's going on?

00:11:29 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 2:

Oh, hey, good morning, guys. Good morning. What's up? So, goofy thing at school. Now, I'm not a mom, but when I was in school, I used to take fibrosis, and I didn't know at the time, and it's like a lifelong disease, so I'm not going to get rid of it. And I didn't know until I was 16, so I don't digest fat. So I would have diarrhea at school.

00:11:53 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 1:

Everybody dumped that But she was She was about to do that to herself She just said the brown poopy word That's why you were in the office a lot But you know what though That's amazing that they would put a time limit on you Now again How long ago was this?

00:12:12 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 2:

123 now And that was like

00:12:15 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 1:

Nowadays I'm telling you I think everybody is a little bit more aware That there are people that have that have some uh things going on so i mean especially you know nobody knew probably back then what's that that was i mean it's you know it's like crones nobody i didn't know what crones was you know until probably 15 years ago or something like that um mojo in the morning show

00:12:40 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 3:

what's up nikki how you doing good morning i'm gonna say fanny you really do have to believe her because one time when i was about seven years old we were out shopping in la and my mom's i told to mama was not feeling good she said you're fine we went to the coach door and lo and behold this little girl threw up all over the purse stand oh my god they didn't make your mom pay for that did they no they did not no they did not okay nice about it do you remember do you remember

00:13:10 - 00:13:29 | Speaker 1:

when you're a kid and you would pretend that you threw up in the uh in the thing and i just threw up in the and you'd go blah blah blah you know like that or anything and then you'd flush it really fast that the parents couldn't see oh my mom would be like you're still going to school yeah i didn't see it going to school what's up amy hi it's mojo in the morning good morning you

00:13:29 - 00:14:06 | Speaker 4:

guys good morning good morning mom never let us miss school i mean for nothing and i woke up i was in high school i had the worst stomach ache and oh just stick it out just stick it out you'll be fine well my counselor got one look at me when i got to school and called my mom i was like she is really sick like you need to come pick her up so i got my hall pass and i had to flash that thing to the hall monitor so quick and bust out those front doors and i puked all over the side oh my god so what i did the rest of the day and i was like i told you i was really sick did your mom

00:14:06 - 00:14:31 | Speaker 1:

feel bad probably not because i always wondered that when a parent doesn't believe him because i've had that where i didn't believe i i thought that luke was faking that he broke his hand and i'm like you didn't break so like a day and a half later as we finally got x-rays on it and found out that he broke his hand and i felt like such a jerk of a parent at that oh yeah he'll

00:14:31 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 4:

He tripped you for a good month after that one.

00:14:33 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. He actually, when he put the cast on, he asked the doctor, could he put the middle finger up in the thing, in the cast, just to show it off to me. I knew I liked him. Thank you for the call. I appreciate it. All right, Mojo in the morning show. KP actually has been out the last couple days. She's not feeling well, and she feels horrible calling in sick because she wants to be here. And honestly, she sounded so sick on Monday when she was here, and I knew, oh, I don't.

00:15:00 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 4:

this is allergies so last night i actually reached out to her to see how she was doing and she answered back she goes i'll be in tomorrow and i'm like well you didn't answer the question how you doing um and uh so she's taking another day off today and and i know that she's listening and she's doing social and stuff like that but um you know what uh it's a good idea better safe

00:15:23 - 00:15:37 | Speaker 6:

00:16:45 - 00:16:47 | Speaker 3:

I think I've found a woman that I'm compatible with.

00:16:47 - 00:16:48 | Speaker 1:

That I want to hang out forever. I want to get married right now.

He is, yeah. That lucky bastard.

00:18:06 - 00:18:08 | Speaker 6:

Oh my gosh, yeah. Yeah. Life is good

00:18:08 - 00:18:19 | Speaker 4:

in EJ's world, I'm telling you. We have the Dirty, and we've got a scam in the 5 of 6.55, all coming up. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. What's trending

00:18:19 - 00:18:39 | Speaker 2:

this hour, Shannon? Well, surprise Lindsay Lohan announcing on Instagram she's going to be a mom. She is pregnant with her first child. She posted a photo of a little white onesie with coming soon written on it and it said in the caption, we are blessed and excited. And if you didn't know, she is married to her husband, Bader Shamas since last summer. Yeah, she's been kind

00:18:39 - 00:18:43 | Speaker 4:

of like just doing her family thing, right? She's been very

00:18:43 - 00:19:30 | Speaker 2:

under the radar. Hope all is well for Lindsay. Hope she has twins. How great would that be? Oh, my gosh. Very parent trappy. Yes. The special prosecutor in the Rust manslaughter case against Alec Baldwin stepped down yesterday after Alec's attorney argued that she should be disqualified from the trial because she's also a Republican legislator in New Mexico where this case, where this trial is taking place. It's a major setback in the state's case against Alec Baldwin. Andrea Reid, that is the special prosecutor, she said, quote, my priority in this case and in every case I've prosecuted in my career has been justice for the victim. However, it has become clear that the best way I can ensure justice is served in this case is to step down so the prosecution can focus on the evidence and facts.

00:19:30 - 00:19:40 | Speaker 4:

They say separation of branches, I guess in some states. If you're a prosecutor, you're a politician, right? Because prosecutors are politicians. They run for that office. So who cares if she's a representative?

00:19:41 - 00:19:46 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I just know that a lot of people They felt that there was conflict of interest there.

00:19:47 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 4:

She actually worked for the prosecutor's office, ran for political office while she was still an associate prosecutor, and then was going to do it. I just don't understand what the problem is.

00:20:00 - 00:20:05 | Speaker 1:

Like, they made such a big deal about that. Yeah. And how does, you know, how does that play a part? I don't know.

00:20:05 - 00:20:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, again, Alec Baldwin facing two counts of involuntary manslaughter, both of which carry an 18-month prison sentence. Jamie Lee Curtis, of course, won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar this week. And when she was interviewed by Savannah Guthrie on the Today Show yesterday, she made the announcement that she gave her statue they-them pronouns.

00:20:25 - 00:20:40 | Speaker 6:

Here they are. Have we named her? In support of my daughter, Ruby, I'm having them be a they-them. Oh. I'm going to just call them them, they-them. And they are doing great.

00:20:41 - 00:21:33 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, this Ozembek craze is causing quite the stir at a bunch of popular restaurants across the country. Why? Because people who are taking the drug aren't finishing their meals. And if you've heard about Ozembek, you don't really know what it is. It's actually a diabetes medication that decreases your appetite. And it's all the rage in Hollywood specifically for people who want to lose a little bit of weight. But now us normal people, well, not myself, but normal people are taking this drug as well. So restaurant owners say they're being asked more and more for smaller portions. And they're seeing an increase in order for light bites like sushi, for example, or people just ordering appetizers. So now some restaurants, some hotspots are changing their menus to accommodate these new Ozembek-era appetites or lack thereof.

00:21:33 - 00:21:38 | Speaker 4:

But if this is what it took for restaurants to realize their portion sizes are way too big. Oh, I love big portion sizes.

00:21:39 - 00:21:42 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, take it home, I'll eat it for dinner.

00:21:42 - 00:21:46 | Speaker 4:

Just charge me less and I'll eat an actual dinner and not have to order for two dinners.

00:21:46 - 00:21:55 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so you can actually order Ozembeck-sized portions in, like, the Upper East Side in New York City, Miami, L.A., places where this is all the rates.

00:21:55 - 00:22:31 | Speaker 1:

I talked to Guy Fieri yesterday, and they're opening a chicken guy here in town in Detroit. They're going to open it in Livonia. And I asked him a question about his portion sizes, and I said, don't do this whole Ozembeck, smaller portion thing. And he goes, we will not do that. We will just give you a to-go box, and if you want to take home your chicken. But I think that the whole idea of smaller portion sizes and less Some of these restaurants that are like the Foo Foo-y restaurants Do smaller portion sizes or small plates And charge you as much as the other restaurants do for the big plates

00:22:31 - 00:22:44 | Speaker 2:

And then I'm still hungry And then I gotta go to McDonald's on the way home and get some nuggies Exactly Or what am I supposed to do when I get home and I get high and I get the munchies again Right That's where leftovers come into play Yeah For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on The Dirty Morning Jack House

00:22:44 - 00:22:58 | Speaker 5:

00:23:08 - 00:23:22 | Speaker 4:

Hello? Hello, ma'am. Bob Dabalina from the U.S. Senseless Bureau. You left a few answers blank in the last survey form we mailed you, and we're just following up with our citizens. It should only take about 30 seconds. Can I ask you three questions about issues that are facing American voters today?

00:23:24 - 00:23:25 | Speaker 3:

What are you selling?

00:23:26 - 00:23:30 | Speaker 4:

I'm not selling anything, ma'am. It's just the senseless bureau getting three quick questions.

00:23:31 - 00:23:33 | Speaker 3:

I'll give you 10 seconds.

00:23:33 - 00:23:36 | Speaker 4:

All right, you got it. How many people currently reside in your home?

00:23:36 - 00:23:37 | Unknown:

Two.

00:23:37 - 00:23:43 | Speaker 4:

How's your brackets? My what? Your brackets? Brackets? Put your brackets together?

00:23:44 - 00:23:45 | Speaker 3:

Well, I don't know what you're talking about.

00:23:45 - 00:23:57 | Speaker 4:

All right, we'll skip that one then. With regards to daylight savings time that happened over the weekend, do you agree that if it were really popular with the American public, they would do it at noon with a big clock and celebrations and not like thieves in the night?

00:23:59 - 00:24:01 | Speaker 3:

No, that's stupid.

00:24:01 - 00:24:05 | Speaker 4:

In your opinion, is it true or false that nostalgia is a thing of the past?

00:24:05 - 00:24:07 | Speaker 3:

What is your point here?

00:24:07 - 00:24:13 | Speaker 4:

Okay, well, we could skip that question if you don't want to answer that one. Do you think complaining about your taxes should be tax-deductible?

00:24:14 - 00:24:17 | Speaker 3:

That's actually, I like that, actually. If it were, it would be great, wouldn't it?

00:24:17 - 00:24:20 | Speaker 4:

All right. And do you sometimes wish your husband had an off switch?

00:24:21 - 00:24:24 | Speaker 3:

Oh, he had one. That's why I'm divorced.

00:24:24 - 00:24:53 | Speaker 4:

Okay, great. I'll put that down. Have you seen the movie Cocaine Bear yet? I have not. All right. Well, which sequel would you be more likely to buy tickets to, Weed Chicken or Hamster on Mushrooms? these are not these are silly questions what are you doing i know that i don't write the questions ma'am i just work here at this agency to ask them two last questions did the guy in charge of naming things just get lazy and give up when he named long island oh my god all right

00:24:53 - 00:24:57 | Speaker 3:

look at you got one last question sure these are ridiculous you got it well i haven't got

00:24:57 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 4:

many answers out of you that's the problem in

00:25:00 - 00:25:27 | Speaker 3:

In relation to the St. Patrick's Day holiday, what's your favorite way to call yourself drunk? Intoxicated, hammered, sloshed, curly-fried, well-lubricated, Hufflepuffed, or do you have another one? I actually like sloshed. Sloshed, okay. Do you think they should sell Nature Valley Crunch granola bars and Roomba vacuum cleaners together as a package deal? This has nothing to do with the senses. I know. Well, just to make sure I'm talking to the right person, what's your password?

00:25:30 - 00:25:39 | Speaker 2:

Not going to get it. Senseless survey here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. You like when listeners send you questions that you should ask on senseless survey?

00:25:40 - 00:25:41 | Speaker 3:

Sure. I'm always open to questions.

00:25:41 - 00:25:49 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. You can text. You got a good question. Text 95500. Give Spike a suggestion for a question. Senseless surveys.

00:25:50 - 00:25:58 | Speaker 1:

What more senseless surveys? Hear endless podcasts at mojointhemorning.com. It's Mojo in the Mornings 5 at 655.

00:25:58 - 00:26:04 | Speaker 6:

5 at 6.55, yo, 5 at 6.55, yo, no.

00:26:04 - 00:26:35 | Speaker 2:

Yesterday was controversial. Laura, you won the 5 at 6.55. Some people thought that it was maybe not fair because you changed your answer to one of the questions. And you did it, obviously, before we ended up moving on. And then yesterday, the champ, Holly, she did the same exact thing. So it got a little crazy, but you are back with us today. We went back, listened to it. You are the champion. Say hello to your challenger, Charlie.

00:26:36 - 00:26:40 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. Good morning. Good morning.

00:26:40 - 00:26:44 | Speaker 2:

Laura, tell everybody a little bit about yourself because we really didn't get a chance to meet you yesterday.

00:26:46 - 00:26:54 | Speaker 4:

Well, I'm a kindergarten teacher, and I live in Oxford. I have a daughter who is in third grade out here in Oxford.

00:26:54 - 00:26:55 | Speaker 2:

And what's her name?

00:26:56 - 00:26:57 | Speaker 4:

Her name is Aubrey.

00:26:57 - 00:27:00 | Speaker 2:

Hello, Aubrey. And there you go.

00:27:00 - 00:27:01 | Speaker 4:

Hi, she's right here listening with me.

00:27:01 - 00:27:20 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's cool. Hi, Aubrey. Hi, Aubrey. Charlie, you are from Defiance, Ohio. You work for the Ohio Department of Transportation, ODOT. Yes, I do. And it's good to have you here. Megan's going to complain to you about all of the roads here in just about five seconds here.

00:27:21 - 00:27:40 | Speaker 5:

Oh, listen, they're better than Michigan. No, they're not. Yeah, you're right. Not on my street. She may be right. Oh, well, yeah, I can't do that. That's a city street. But, Megan, you can't yell at me today because I feel like we are one right now because I feel like you on a Friday morning getting ready to play the throwback throwdown.

00:27:41 - 00:27:45 | Speaker 3:

Look how she just pulled you in. No confidence. I got it. I got it. All right.

00:27:46 - 00:28:45 | Speaker 2:

Laura, I'm locking you up in a soundproof area. We'll be right back with you. Five pop culture trivia questions. Whoever gets the most right wins. Ty always goes to the champion. Charlie, question number one. Khloe Kardashian wished her ex-baby daddy a happy birthday, throwing a little subtle shade in the process. Who is her ex? Tristan Thompson. Question number two. This, your special singer, just announced a second season of her reality show. Watch out for the big girls. Who is she? Lizzo. Question number three. Lindsay Lohan just announced that she's going to be a mom. What was the name of the movie that she starred in as herself and herself alongside Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson? Parent Trap. Question number four. This rapper, real name Montero Lamar Hill, is apologizing this morning for a tweet mocking the trans community and the process of transitioning.

00:28:48 - 00:28:49 | Speaker 3:

Three seconds.

00:28:49 - 00:28:51 | Speaker 5:

You're going to have to pass that one.

00:28:51 - 00:29:02 | Speaker 2:

And question number five. the NCAA Men's March Madness Tournament, what city will the final four games be played?

00:29:03 - 00:29:06 | Speaker 5:

And there I bombed again. I have no idea.

00:29:06 - 00:29:10 | Speaker 2:

You want to throw a guess out there? Name a city. Maybe Defiance, Ohio, whatever you'd like.

00:29:10 - 00:29:15 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, let's say San Diego.

00:29:15 - 00:29:22 | Speaker 2:

All right, let's bring the champ back from a soundproof area. How did our challenger Charlie do?

00:29:22 - 00:29:25 | Speaker 3:

Good start, but Charlie in the end got three out of five.

00:29:25 - 00:29:26 | Speaker 2:

Three out of five is what you've got to beat, Laura.

00:29:28 - 00:29:29 | Speaker 3:

All right.

00:29:29 - 00:29:37 | Speaker 2:

Question number one. Khloe Kardashian wished her ex-baby daddy a happy birthday, throwing a little subtle shade in the process. Who is her ex?

00:29:39 - 00:29:40 | Speaker 4:

Kristen Thompson.

00:29:40 - 00:29:50 | Speaker 2:

Yes. It was one to one. Question number two. This Your Special singer just announced a second season of her reality show, Watch Out for the Big Girls. Who is she?

00:29:52 - 00:29:53 | Speaker 4:

Lizzo.

00:29:53 - 00:30:06 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Two to two. Question number three. Lindsay Lohan just announced that she's going to be a mom. What was the name of the... movie that she starred in as herself and herself alongside Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson?

00:30:08 - 00:30:09 | Speaker 1:

Excuse me, The Parrot Trap. Yep.

00:30:10 - 00:30:54 | Speaker 2:

Three to three. Clean win if you get one of these next two right. Question number four. This rapper, real name Montero Lamar Hill, is apologizing this morning for a tweet mocking the trans community and the process of transitioning. Real Nas X? Yep. There you go. Nice. And a perfect score if you get this last one right. The NCAA Men's March Madness Tournament. What city will be hosting the final four games? San Antonio? You know, you're close. You're close. It's Houston. Houston, Texas. You won your second in a row. Final score, 4-3. Congratulations to you.

00:30:55 - 00:30:55 | Speaker 1:

Thank you.

00:30:56 - 00:31:17 | Speaker 2:

You're so welcome. Congratulations, Laura. Now, Charlie, that wasn't that bad. You did okay. It wasn't as bad as I thought. You're right. You were nervous, though. Yeah, very. We're going to set you up with tickets to go to Motor City Comic Con, happening May the 19th through the 21st at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan. Congratulations.

00:31:18 - 00:31:19 | Speaker 1:

Thank you.

00:31:19 - 00:31:25 | Speaker 2:

Thank you so much. Thanks for playing. Thanks for having us on. And, Laura, we will see you tomorrow, okay?

00:31:26 - 00:31:27 | Speaker 1:

That's great. Thank you.

00:31:27 - 00:31:41 | Speaker 2:

Hey, do you want to take on Laura tomorrow in the 5 at 6.55? Text IWANTAPLAY to 95500, and we'll get you on the show. That's IWANTAPLAY. Text that to 95500 to play the 5 at 6.55.

00:31:42 - 00:31:48 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55. This is Mojo in the Mornings, live.

00:31:50 - 00:33:07 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Mornings, show. Hey, do you want to be on 5 Lies to tell your mom? Now, you can't do it this morning because we need to have some time to actually call your mom and get her on the phone and everything, and moms swear a lot. I don't know if you know this, but moms aren't as sweet and innocent as they look. They get a little, I don't know, ornery when they get to having a son or daughter calling them up and telling them some crazy stuff. Text mom to 95500. That's mom to 95500 so you can be on Five Lies to tell your mom. Hold on a second. Turn the TV on there for one second. I'll watch TV during a commercial break in a second. Were you giggling because I said ornery? Yes, I was trying to figure out what the heck you said. I don't even know where that came out. I have no idea. So ornery. I don't even know if I said it right, but I sounded like Mrs. Kapanowski, my neighbor, who used to say, you guys are ornery. I thought it was ornery. Is it ornery? I think it is ornery. Yeah, it's okay. I like how you said it better. I can't even, honestly, I can't even say words like please and thank you and whatever without mispronouncing them. So, all right, Five Lies. It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:33:08 - 00:33:09 | Unknown:

Sweet.

00:33:10 - 00:33:11 | Speaker 1:

Five lies to tell your mama.

00:33:12 - 00:33:22 | Speaker 2:

Jacqueline. Yes, I'm excited. So, Jacqueline, let's do a little backstory here. So your husband owns a restaurant?

00:33:23 - 00:33:25 | Speaker 1:

Yes, he does. The Outback in Canton.

00:33:25 - 00:33:28 | Speaker 2:

My favorite is Outback. I love it.

00:33:28 - 00:33:29 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:33:29 - 00:33:36 | Speaker 2:

Get me a Bloomin' Onion and some toilet paper, and I am all good. Yeah, of course. You'll definitely need that.

00:33:37 - 00:33:43 | Speaker 1:

Now, I imagine with owning a restaurant, there's a lot of drama, a lot of babysitting. You always have staff issues going on.

00:33:43 - 00:34:17 | Speaker 2:

Oh, definitely. So we're going to do some kind of something with that, okay, with your husband. Your husband's name is Steven? Yes. All right. Here we go. We're calling your mom up. You're going to tell her these lies. Lie number one in five lies tell your mom. You're going to say that Steven got into a fight. Is there somebody else that works there that we could have him say he got in a fight with? Yes, my cousin. Oh, what's their name? Erica. Oh, good. Perfect. Stephen got into a fight with Erica. Lie number two.

00:34:18 - 00:34:20 | Speaker 1:

He told her she couldn't wear a belly shirt.

00:34:21 - 00:34:30 | Speaker 2:

Lie number three. She started throwing bread at him. Lie number four.

00:34:30 - 00:34:32 | Speaker 1:

Managers had to break it up.

00:34:34 - 00:34:39 | Speaker 2:

And lie number five. He got fired from Outback.

00:34:41 - 00:34:51 | Speaker 1:

All right. Is this believable? Like, would the cousin cause some drama because she's family? Yes, she would. Exactly. Because she's family, and they've actually gotten into it a few times.

00:34:51 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 2:

So we always run to my mom and tell her whenever it happens, fill her in on the drama. Is it okay for us to actually use the name of the company or name the steak place?

00:35:00 - 00:35:01 | Unknown:

Yeah, why not?

00:35:01 - 00:35:18 | Speaker 2:

Okay, I just want to make sure because, you know, sometimes people get a little crazy about that. But we're giving them a plug. This is five lies to tell your mom, and I will be there. I'll be there. Get a table ready for me after this is done. Here, we're calling your mom up. Don't say anything until she picks up and speak nice and loud. We're all listening.

00:35:19 - 00:35:29 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Hello?

00:35:30 - 00:35:59 | Speaker 3:

hi hi i'm freaking out right now because steven and erica got into another fight at work another another one because he told her that she couldn't wear a belly shirt okay that's obvious right and she freaked out and started throwing bread at him

00:35:59 - 00:36:07 | Speaker 4:

in the middle of the dining room oh no gone gone that she starts throwing food and she's gone

00:36:08 - 00:36:34 | Speaker 3:

wait it gets worse no way yeah managers had to come out there and break it up who did the other managers had to stop them too he had to stop them because he started throwing it back at her okay a customer called corporate and he got fired he got fired because of erica

00:36:39 - 00:37:10 | Speaker 4:

erica said i don't know what to do on him because he told her she can't wear a belly shirt she picked up bread in the dining room and started throwing it at him and he threw it back at her and somebody called the corporate and they fired me. What do I do, Mom? He needs to call them and apologize. Can you believe this? No. Listen, this girl had one foot out the door. And what are we going to do?

00:37:10 - 00:37:11 | Speaker 3:

This is our livelihood.

00:37:13 - 00:37:30 | Speaker 4:

He has to have better patience than that. it's not his fault it is for throwing back he should have just said you know what you're fired to buy it's her fault not his fault I'm ready to call and tell her off

00:37:30 - 00:37:33 | Speaker 3:

what happened

00:37:33 - 00:37:38 | Speaker 4:

this morning today just now they just opened didn't they

00:37:38 - 00:37:41 | Speaker 2:

hey mom how you doing

00:37:41 - 00:37:45 | Speaker 1:

at least they threw bread and not a blooming onion

00:37:45 - 00:37:48 | Speaker 2:

Or steak knives

00:37:48 - 00:37:53 | Speaker 4:

Right Who's that?

00:37:54 - 00:38:02 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I'm sorry We didn't introduce ourselves Mom, this is the Mojo in the Morning Show And Jacqueline had you on Five Lies to Tell Your Mom

00:38:02 - 00:38:16 | Speaker 4:

Oh my god You have her And Michael about crying our eyes out, scared to death for our children

00:38:16 - 00:38:27 | Speaker 1:

Can you believe she would say that? Steve's fine, everybody's fine at the restaurant As far as we know, there was no food fight No food fight

00:38:27 - 00:38:38 | Speaker 2:

And by the way, Outback still has that, is it like pumpernickel bread? Or what is it? What is that? It's so good, you don't throw stuff like that, you eat it

00:38:38 - 00:38:41 | Speaker 4:

No, you don't do food. No, no, bad food. Come on now.

00:38:41 - 00:38:43 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you don't do that. You heifer.

00:38:44 - 00:38:45 | Speaker 4:

I like how you call her heifer.

00:38:47 - 00:38:48 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

00:38:48 - 00:38:51 | Speaker 3:

Michael's about to call his niece. Tell her off.

00:38:52 - 00:38:54 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. I was hoping you were going to go there.

00:38:54 - 00:38:57 | Speaker 1:

Mom, it sounds like Erica's a handful, huh?

00:38:58 - 00:39:00 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. A little bit. A little bit.

00:39:01 - 00:39:05 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the Morning, and I always suggest that you do it on the iHeartRadio app, or you can do it wherever you get podcasts. Just search that name, okay, of the show, and we'll get your podcast and subscribe for us. Had a funny incident happen yesterday to me that I realized this is something I think a lot of people do. So we went out with a group of people, and I never could understand why I do this, yet others do it too. Why is it that when you go out in a group of people and you need to go to the bathroom? Oh, excuse me.

00:41:05 - 00:41:06 | Speaker 1:

I can taste that one.

00:41:06 - 00:41:07 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

00:41:07 - 00:41:09 | Speaker 3:

I almost choked on my own phlegm.

00:41:09 - 00:41:10 | Speaker 5:

Do you need to go to the bathroom now?

00:41:10 - 00:41:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, maybe. Why is it that you have to make the announcement to everybody when you stand up? Hey, I'm going to go to the bathroom. If we're all just sitting here as a group and we're eating, why can't I just get up and walk out? Because that would be awkward. That would be awkward? I think it's awkward that we make the announcement. We don't do that any other thing that we do. Like, if you're sitting with a group of people and you just get up and you start walking away, you don't go, I'm going to go over here and I'm going to scratch my butt. You know what I mean? Like, you don't do something like that. But you do that when you go to the bathroom.

00:41:41 - 00:41:54 | Speaker 4:

It's a more, what's the word I'm looking for? Like, it would be so weird if you were in the middle of a conversation seated at a dinner and you just got up and walked away. Because if I were the one talking, I'd be like, wait, what did I say?

00:41:54 - 00:42:13 | Speaker 1:

say something but shannon i never announce it i just go because where else would i be going where do you ever leave the table and i don't want you to pay the bill because i want to split the bill no i if anyone's leaving the table it's to go to the bathroom so you don't need to interrupt the whole conversation that's going on just to tell everybody i'm gonna go pee you're like it's

00:42:13 - 00:42:47 | Speaker 3:

obvious you're going to pee here's the interesting thing most people 57 of people say that they usually let people know when they're going to the bathroom if they're at a public place or in a group yeah additionally 28 say that they let people know they're stepping away but do not let them know where they're going because they're embarrassed about the fact that they've got to go make a duty or a tinkle well i don't distinguish if i'm gonna pee or poop yeah but i'll say i'm just gonna use the restroom well people automatically just assume if a guy my size is

00:42:47 - 00:43:02 | Speaker 2:

going that he's going to drop a deuce that's why i don't like to announce it because then i feel like i'm on the clock and if i go a little bit longer than a pee would last then i'm like oh they know they know i'm pooping even if i'm like washing my hands longer oh they know i'm pooping

00:43:02 - 00:43:26 | Speaker 3:

and then it's uncomfortable when you come back are there any people that do what mike just said about the washing their hands thing do you ever just get up and say hey i'm gonna go wash my hands but yet you're going in there to go really let one go uh because i think that there's people that do that i know people that always will say oh i'm gonna go i'm gonna go wash my hands my hands are dirty and then you walk into the bathroom to go wash your hands and they're in a stall why do we

00:43:26 - 00:43:39 | Speaker 1:

all have to still be embarrassed about going to the bathroom just go why do you have to announce it where else would i be going i'm gonna go i'm gonna go wash my car while we're waiting for the food to be cooked no of course you're going to the bathroom spike i felt so awkward yesterday it was

00:43:39 - 00:43:54 | Speaker 3:

a group of our friends and stuff and we're there and i was like announcing it to everybody and i felt like every table looked at me like there he goes he's going to the bathroom at that particular moment. I was like, attention, everybody. I am going to go to the bathroom right

00:43:54 - 00:44:00 | Speaker 4:

now. Have you ever gotten up to go to the bathroom just because you had to fart? Oh, yeah. Because you don't want to do it at the table.

00:44:00 - 00:44:04 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. Or if it's a big enough group, I'll just fart right there and then

00:44:04 - 00:44:09 | Speaker 2:

blame it on somebody else. Yeah, and it depends on the seat. Am I in a couch? Because then I can just do it in the cushions.

00:44:09 - 00:44:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, if you're on a leather seat, Mike, you can't because it will reverberate. One more time. It will reverberate off of the that leather good word um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 it's funny it's funny that i'm trying to think of other things that you would get to say if you don't if you don't feel comfortable announcing you're going to the bathroom what else could you say besides i'm going to wash my hands

00:44:34 - 00:44:44 | Speaker 4:

i need to excuse myself or excuse me and get up but i think you do have to say you have to say at least that you can't just get up and walk away that's weird that's it's worth to say excuse me

00:44:44 - 00:44:51 | Speaker 5:

because i'm going to come up with a plan in my head that you went outside to have a conversation to talk smack about me and what we've been talking about. See, that's what I would say.

00:44:51 - 00:44:56 | Speaker 4:

If you got up and walked away, I'd be like, what the heck? Exactly. Tell me what's happening.

00:44:56 - 00:45:03 | Speaker 1:

But usually somebody's talking, so you don't want to interrupt. whole flow of conversation just to bring attention on the fact that you got to pee.

00:45:04 - 00:45:09 | Speaker 2:

Well, it's funny. That's what it's doing, right? When you're announcing it, it's basically just making you the center of attention.

00:45:09 - 00:45:15 | Speaker 5:

I never thought about it this way, but now I'm going to be so self-conscious when I go out to eat with you guys or anybody.

00:45:15 - 00:45:21 | Speaker 3:

I imagine a giant horn. Just so you know, everybody, I am leaving the room.

00:45:22 - 00:45:35 | Speaker 2:

Do you remember when we were in school and they would make the announcement over the PA system and it always had that sound that came on right before the principal came up That's what we need now, that sound. What's up, Jamie? Are you there? Oh, Jamie.

00:45:36 - 00:45:37 | Speaker 8:

Can you hear me?

00:45:37 - 00:45:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, there you go. Hi.

00:45:39 - 00:45:47 | Speaker 8:

Hey. So, Mojo, it's so simple. It's basic etiquette. You just say, excuse me. And then you just get up and go to the bathroom.

00:45:47 - 00:45:55 | Speaker 6:

No. What you're doing. No. No, I'm too nosy. Nope, I need details. I need details. That's personal.

00:45:55 - 00:46:01 | Speaker 1:

Again, what details do you think you're going to get? What else could be happening?

00:46:02 - 00:46:03 | Speaker 2:

Actually, I want details when they come back.

00:46:04 - 00:46:15 | Speaker 6:

I want to know if you hovered or not. I want to know if the toilet paper was one ply or was it the good stuff. I want to know, does the soap smell good? I want to know, is there a candle burning in there? I need details.

00:46:15 - 00:46:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but that's after you go. Before you go is usually when you're making the announcement to everybody.

00:46:20 - 00:46:31 | Speaker 5:

And Spike, you said, what else could you be doing? There really are a plethora of things that you could be doing. Again, paying the bill. If I'm with my friend Katie Stelkic, I know when she gets up, she's not going to pee. She's going to get around a shot. I need to mentally prepare myself.

00:46:32 - 00:46:40 | Speaker 1:

If she's sniping, if somebody's going to go pay the bill, they're going to lie to you anyway. If they're not going to tell you they're going to go pay the bill because they're going to be sneaky. Mike?

00:46:41 - 00:46:42 | Speaker 2:

Listener Mike, hi.

00:46:42 - 00:46:43 | Speaker 10:

Hi, how's it going?

00:46:44 - 00:46:47 | Speaker 2:

Good, buddy. What's going on? What do you do when you have to get up and go to the bathroom?

00:46:48 - 00:47:00 | Speaker 10:

I usually say I got to hit the head. I like her. Always works in a business setting. I'm curious myself if women amongst themselves have any, like, code words that they say when they're just around their female friends.

00:47:00 - 00:47:04 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's a very good one. I would guess that they would probably have code words.

00:47:04 - 00:47:14 | Speaker 5:

No, but I think that's also part of it, part of the announcement is, like, will someone come with me? Like, do you have to go too, Megan? You're asking, yeah. Do you know what I mean?

00:47:14 - 00:47:23 | Speaker 6:

There's also the look of, I need somebody to come with me. And the look of, don't you dare get up and join me. You say at this table, this is a solo event.

00:47:23 - 00:47:28 | Speaker 5:

But there's also the look of, you are coming with me right to the bathroom because we have something to talk about.

00:47:28 - 00:47:31 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Morgan. Mojo in the morning. How are you?

00:47:31 - 00:47:32 | Speaker 5:

Good. How are you?

00:47:33 - 00:47:34 | Speaker 2:

Good. What do you do?

00:47:34 - 00:47:44 | Speaker 7:

I always tell the person next to me that I'm going to the bathroom. So that way, if anyone else asks, that person can say, oh, they just went to the bathroom.

00:47:44 - 00:47:50 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's actually a really good thing. That's a good one. And then it doesn't seem so embarrassing to have to announce it to everybody. You just tell the person next to you.

00:47:50 - 00:47:52 | Speaker 7:

And it doesn't interrupt any conversation.

00:47:52 - 00:47:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. No, that's very good. Dawn wants to tell us what her grandpa used to say. What would your grandpa do?

00:48:00 - 00:48:16 | Speaker 9:

She would say, excuse me, I got to go see a man about a horse. Where did she get that from? I have no idea. But as a kid, it was really puzzling to me because I often wondered, where do all these places keep horses?

00:48:18 - 00:48:30 | Speaker 2:

Old people always had these great sayings. And every now and again they come back And it's usually Jed that's the one that's bringing them back Or KP KP our producer is an old person Saying person

00:48:30 - 00:48:36 | Speaker 5:

What did she say yesterday Lydia She goes I need to go over here and take a gander at this I'm like what

00:48:36 - 00:48:38 | Speaker 1:

You can tell she's been living with her grandparents for a year

00:48:38 - 00:48:40 | Speaker 2:

So cute What's up Joelle

00:48:40 - 00:48:50 | Speaker 8:

Okay so whenever I go I'll just be like I'll be right back But then every time everybody asks me Oh where are you going So I have to say it anyways.

00:48:50 - 00:49:00 | Speaker 1:

Why do people ask? Where do you think I'm going? Am I going to rewire power through the ignition switch of a Buick in the parking lot? Like I'm just going to get my hands dirty while we're waiting for appetizers?

00:49:00 - 00:49:06 | Speaker 6:

Where else could I be going? Exactly. I'm codependent. If you're abandoning me, I need to know.

00:49:07 - 00:49:17 | Speaker 1:

If we were alone and it's only the two of us eating, Megan, I would probably just say, I'm going to the bathroom. But like in a party, you're just interrupting the whole flow of conversation.

00:49:17 - 00:49:18 | Speaker 2:

Hey, John.

00:49:19 - 00:49:20 | Speaker 4:

Hey, guys.

00:49:21 - 00:49:21 | Speaker 2:

What's up?

00:49:22 - 00:49:42 | Speaker 4:

Not too much. What do you do, John? So usually when I'm at a table full of people, and if we're not, like, close friends, I'll do an obvious big look to the left and look to the right kind of look around. I'm like, you guys know where the bathroom is around here? And wait for me to point it out. I'm like, oh, okay. And I'll be right back. And then I get up and usually just kind of go. Okay. I let them know.

00:49:42 - 00:49:45 | Speaker 2:

That's very nice and polite and boring.

00:49:46 - 00:49:46 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:49:46 - 00:49:50 | Speaker 1:

You need something more fun than that. Next time, just tell people. I'm going to go check on the hostage in my trunk.

00:49:51 - 00:49:53 | Speaker 2:

Donna, what do you say?

00:49:53 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 7:

Hey, Mojo. Good morning, y'all. Good morning. My brother-in-law, he has always said, I'm going to leave him a little.

00:50:00 - 00:50:05 | Speaker 3:

gift that's nice that's real nice it might be my favorite great as i'm waiting for my meal

00:50:05 - 00:50:14 | Speaker 6:

what's going on how you doing dan hi hey uh my boyfriend when we first started dating used to

00:50:14 - 00:50:27 | Speaker 8:

say i'm going to file paperwork that's actually it sounds very official doesn't it very official but sure as hell not filing paperwork right well yeah what's up uh michelle hi

00:50:27 - 00:50:33 | Speaker 6:

Hi, my husband used to say he would have to take the Browns to the Super Bowl

00:50:33 - 00:50:38 | Speaker 2:

I've actually never heard that before Yeah

00:50:38 - 00:50:43 | Speaker 8:

That's actually a good one I'm going to try to use that one from now on Guys, I'm waiting for my meal

00:50:43 - 00:50:45 | Speaker 6:

And then you're going to talk about that

00:50:45 - 00:50:47 | Speaker 8:

What do you do, Victoria?

00:50:49 - 00:51:02 | Speaker 7:

So anytime I'm in a public place or just casually at my mom's I get up and they'll be like, wait, where are you going? And I'll be like, do you want to come with me? Do you want to watch? Do I need help or what?

00:51:03 - 00:51:09 | Speaker 3:

It's so funny that people ask, where are you going? What are your options right now? Where do you think I'm going?

00:51:09 - 00:51:18 | Speaker 8:

Somebody said you should say, Mojo, exactly what you say when you get ready to go into commercials. We'll be right back right after these words. That's actually a good one.

00:51:19 - 00:51:28 | Speaker 1:

Every man has the right to be ugly, but Mojo is abusing the privilege. This is Mojo in the Morning. Enjoy the mornings, Dirty on the 30.

00:51:28 - 00:51:31 | Speaker 8:

All right, Shannon, with what's trending right now in the Dirty on the 30.

00:51:31 - 00:52:08 | Speaker 2:

Those two brothers that were paid by Empire actor Jesse Smollett, Juicy Smollett, to carry out a staged attack. And they've broken their silence in a new bombshell interview. Jesse paid the Osendero brothers $3,500 to stage that January 2019 attack on the streets of Chicago as a hate crime. We all remember the story. I don't need to rehash it for you. But this sneaky little plan came to light after the brothers, who are a pair of aspiring actors from Nigeria, by the way, confessed that the whole thing was a hoax after spending a few days in jail. That's you. Push that button.

00:52:09 - 00:52:10 | Speaker 4:

Watch out.

00:52:10 - 00:52:13 | Speaker 8:

Oh, I'm sorry. I'm queuing up a pink song for you. Here you go.

00:52:14 - 00:52:42 | Speaker 4:

I thought he was a good actor, but I also was thinking that this guy's a fraud. This guy's really sitting here just lying to these people, lying through his teeth, and not caring. I think he shed a tear. And I want a little gay boy who might watch this to see that I fall back. This dude crazy, man. He shed a tear, man. This dude wild.

00:52:42 - 00:54:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that interview was part of a five-part docuseries for Fox Nation, by the way, audio courtesy of Fox Nation. Paris Hilton's new memoir, Paris the Memoir, is out. You've probably seen her all over the TV lately, and this is what she's promoting. And many of the big revelations in the book came out ahead of its release. We've talked about them, including Paris sharing for the very first time that she was raped when she was 15, as well as an 8th grade teacher's very inappropriate interest in her, groomed her, the abortion she had when she was just 20 years old, and her very unpleasant encounter with Harvey Weinstein. But some other highlights. Now that we've got the book in its entirety, including her issue with Pink back in the day, specifically the music video from this song, Stupid Girls. After opening up about being a rape survivor, Paris said that many women are labeled, quote unquote, stupid girl after reporting a sexual assault, something that she also believed of herself, like to her core. And to see that term used by Pink in this song at a time when she, Paris, was weathering a sex tape scandal, she said it definitely stung. And Pink's video, if you remember, I mean, this was a while ago, but it included a parody of the Paris Hilton tape. And there were, again, some other things going on behind the scenes that we were unaware of until now that Paris was dealing with. She did reiterate, however, that she's not mad at Pink. There's no Pink-Paris feud. She does not hold grudges, but at the time, it wasn't a good thing for her. Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin released footage of his encounter with a female hotel employee, a Marriott employee, who accused him of misconduct during an interaction during Super Bowl week in Arizona. He released this footage as a piece of evidence as he attempts to clear his name in all of this. In a press conference yesterday, Irvin was joined by his attorneys in the wake of his $100 million lawsuit against Marriott. He told reporters he's thankful he had the video.

00:54:48 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 5:

I totally deny saying that. I totally deny saying that. I'm just so thankful for those witnesses. I'm so thankful for this video. For this video.

00:55:00 - 00:55:08 | Speaker 4:

Because without it, I just don't know where this would have gone.

00:55:08 - 00:56:09 | Speaker 3:

So the video shows the encounter between Michael Irvin and his accuser. It lasts like just under two minutes. He said he spoke to this employee about his sports media career, shook her hand. I mean, you see this clear as day on there. He then gently touches her arm and walks away. They both go their separate ways. And that's it. So it was great evidence. Like he said, thank God that that video existed. And lastly, Rihanna wore a diamond belly chain to Beyonce and Jay-Z's Oscars after party at the very fancy Chateau Marmont. You saw pictures of it maybe online. Well, I just learned what that belly chain was worth. A belly chain. $1.8 million. Oh, my Lord. $1.8 million worth of diamonds. Those weren't the only diamonds she was wearing either. In total, Ms. Rihanna was wearing over 250 carats of Baco stones worth $2.7 million. And by the way, the belly chain outfit was her fourth outfit change of the night.

00:56:09 - 00:56:11 | Speaker 4:

But that belly chain outfit.

00:56:12 - 00:56:22 | Speaker 3:

I would never work the rest of my life for one belly chain. That's so crazy. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on thedryofmorning.com.

00:57:19 - 00:57:23 | Speaker 1:

Can I ask you an honest question? Did you take an edible before bed last night?

00:57:23 - 00:57:27 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. No, I didn't even go to sleep. Oh, okay.

00:57:28 - 00:57:38 | Speaker 1:

So you sound like I do when I have, you know, one before bed and I'm trying to get a little extra sleep. It's like, how are you doing?

00:57:39 - 00:57:49 | Speaker 4:

I'm actually allergic to those. They make me sick. I wish I could party with everyone else, though, no. That literally is my worst nightmare. I'm so sorry for you.

00:57:49 - 00:57:56 | Speaker 1:

You lay your head down and get some sleep after we get some information from you. Hold on one second, okay?

00:57:56 - 00:57:57 | Speaker 4:

Sounds wonderful. Thanks.

00:57:58 - 00:58:31 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. Phone scam in moments. It's Mojo in the morning show. Phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Spike, yesterday was Pi Day, and I know we got to say thank you to our friends that brought in food. And I knew I should have brought and wrote down the names of everybody. But it was Famous Dave's that brought them in. And I think it was like, was it Famous Katie? Famous or something. They called themselves Famous something or another. But they were very nice. They brought in food for Pie Day.

00:58:32 - 00:58:32 | Speaker 3:

Famous Katie.

00:58:32 - 00:58:53 | Speaker 1:

Famous Katie. Famous Katie brought in with a friend free food. But they also, because you had mentioned on the air about Baker Square and how much you loved the Baker Square French silk pie. and how your girlfriend Meg's mom would always have that as her birthday one, they brought in Baker Square pies. They have Baker Square pies at Famous Dave's.

00:58:53 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 2:

Oh, so good. And that was the catalyst for their visit. But then all day I kept getting messages from people like, hey, are you going to stop here for free pie? Are you going to stop here for $3.14 pie? I know Blaze Pizza in Novi when I drove by had a line around the block because their pizzas were $3.14 for pie day, which is actually a really good deal but my question is how long do you is your time worth like how long do you stand in line grand traverse pie company was doing a free slice well if you have to wait two or three hours for a free slice of pie were people waiting that long uh my friend waited almost an hour but that was at a quiet time so a lunch hour i guess they were even crazier and i'm like it's a free slice of pie like how long do you wait for free food where it becomes not worth the wait anymore for instance monday this coming monday is free cone day at dairy queen oh because it's always the first day of spring they celebrate and you have to wait in line for an hour to get an ice cream cone that cost a dollar 99 and i think at this

01:00:00 - 01:00:03 | Speaker 6:

point i would probably just hand somebody two dollars to not have to wait no it's about the

01:00:03 - 01:00:14 | Speaker 2:

experience man when raising canes opened in toledo the first day it wasn't even free i paid full price we did four and a half hours for that chicken oh my god yes i did about the experience

01:00:14 - 01:00:22 | Speaker 6:

baby just go back two months pretend it opened two months later and you get no line um i will

01:00:22 - 01:00:47 | Speaker 3:

tell you that the only time that i get excited over free stuff like when it's like freebies and I was one of those that would stand in line was 7-Eleven day. Slurpee day. The slurpee day. That was it. And I don't know why but I think it's because I was on a 7-Eleven slurpee kick and I was like, oh, it's 7-Eleven day and there's one that used to be on my way home that I would stop at. But you're right. Do you wait? I mean, Blaze Pizza is good.

01:00:47 - 01:00:58 | Speaker 4:

I learned that in ninth grade economics class. Shout out to Mrs. Glusky. I know she listens. But time is money. So if you're waiting, you know, two hours for an ice cream cone and then you didn't get

01:00:58 - 01:00:59 | Speaker 6:

anything done today. The one

01:00:59 - 01:01:13 | Speaker 4:

I do get is the people that will wait. I can't remember if Sonic or Chick-fil-A did it where the first 50 people get free Chick-fil-A for a year or something. That's worth it to me. I'm waiting for that.

01:01:14 - 01:01:42 | Speaker 3:

You know what? Even that, think about this. We go and get Chick-fil-A and we wait in line for hours just to go get ourselves a meal And I will tell you that I've been the guy That did 45 minutes at the Chick-fil-A Down the street from the radio studios And I did it because of my kids I didn't do it for myself Of course I didn't need it for myself But I did it for my kids Because I'll do anything for them

01:01:42 - 01:01:46 | Speaker 6:

Really worth that much For a chicken sandwich to wait an hour Is silly

01:01:46 - 01:01:59 | Speaker 2:

I just don't think you find joy in life Because that kind of joy That a hot chicken sandwich brings me Or chicken tenders Is worth it Nothing brings me joy The way warm food does

01:01:59 - 01:02:02 | Speaker 3:

And The F word before it Free

01:02:02 - 01:02:03 | Speaker 2:

Free warm food

01:02:03 - 01:02:09 | Speaker 3:

Warm food is good Mojo in the morning Shannon Hey How you doing?

01:02:10 - 01:02:11 | Speaker 1:

I'm good How are you?

01:02:11 - 01:02:13 | Speaker 3:

Good You agree with Spike On this one You don't see this

01:02:13 - 01:02:21 | Speaker 1:

I agree with Spike 100% I will go home I will bake a pie And then I'll just Taunt the people online And eat it in front of them I'm not waiting

01:02:21 - 01:02:26 | Speaker 6:

That's smart Bring snacks with you while you're waiting For the free food

01:02:26 - 01:02:32 | Speaker 1:

Right I'll be like I got my pie No I won't wait for free food Not if it's that long

01:02:32 - 01:02:45 | Speaker 3:

I actually have something that I have waited in line for A honey baked ham Right before Thanksgiving I waited in that honey baked ham line Where it's crazy and then I learned That you can order it online and just go pick it up

01:02:45 - 01:02:46 | Speaker 4:

And skip past them

01:02:46 - 01:02:57 | Speaker 3:

But I remember the first time that I didn't know That that was the case I stood in that line And I'm talking to Mabel And Gertrude And all the other old people That were in line with me

01:02:57 - 01:03:03 | Speaker 1:

Can I just say one thing I listen to you guys every morning And I love y'all but Spike you're my guy

01:03:03 - 01:03:06 | Speaker 5:

Thank you Shannon I appreciate that

01:03:06 - 01:03:10 | Speaker 1:

If you can make me pee my pants on the way home There ain't nothing better I'm good

01:03:10 - 01:04:14 | Speaker 6:

Well that's the greatest compliment in continents I hope it's always convenient for you Thanks for listening I'll give you the meat stick So would you wait in line to meet Spike then good point great question spike don't play with girls i'll tell you the one time i did wait in line for something when i was last at austin texas there's a famous barbecue place called franklin barbecue my friend todd and i took our folding chairs at five five o'clock in the morning you go out there and you set up your chair before the sun rises and by like the time the workers get there at 9 in the morning, there's already 100 people in line for the barbecue. Really? Because they sell out by noon. So, if you want the best barbecue in the United States, you gotta get there at 5 a.m. But that's fun. That's an experience. You're like tailgating. You're having a party with everybody in line. And you've traveled. You've traveled for it. And then, you've got all your friends that text you, what do you want? What do you need? Well, get me a thing of brisket. Well, get me this. And all of a sudden, your order is like $800 worth of meat, and you just have the meat sweats afterwards.

01:04:14 - 01:04:22 | Speaker 3:

I laugh because I know Todd, and Todd's a wait-in-line guy. Todd's the same guy that would wait in line at a Harmony house back in the day for concert tickets.

01:04:22 - 01:04:25 | Speaker 6:

Oh, absolutely, and chat up everybody in line and make it a party.

01:04:25 - 01:04:35 | Speaker 3:

I used to always say this with Todd. I would say with Todd, I'm like, he's a professional man that has a good job. How does he have the time to do this?

01:04:35 - 01:04:46 | Speaker 6:

I'll be like, what are you doing? I'll call him, where are you at, Todd? I'm in line to get an autograph. Remember the guy who played the principal on The Simpsons? Vicki, what's up?

01:04:46 - 01:04:47 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the Morning.

01:04:48 - 01:04:49 | Speaker 1:

Hi, how are you guys?

01:04:50 - 01:04:52 | Speaker 3:

Fantastic, Vicki. Would you wait in line for something free?

01:04:54 - 01:05:00 | Speaker 1:

Yes, we do. Every year, my daughter and I, we go to multiple locations for the summer.

01:05:00 - 01:05:01 | Speaker 2:

an 11-day. Multiple locations.

01:05:01 - 01:05:03 | Speaker 5:

That's cheating. You're not supposed to.

01:05:04 - 01:05:07 | Speaker 2:

Well, there's no rule.

01:05:07 - 01:05:08 | Speaker 4:

Not like the best.

01:05:08 - 01:05:20 | Speaker 2:

Now, I'm thinking, what's the small Slurpee last year was 89 cents. I'm thinking, how much was gas last year when you were driving all over Metro Detroit and getting...

01:05:20 - 01:05:24 | Speaker 4:

Well, I have several within, like, under a 10-minute drive. Congratulations.

01:05:24 - 01:05:27 | Speaker 2:

$4 worth of Slurpees. That's a lot.

01:05:27 - 01:05:28 | Speaker 5:

By the way, you're a diabetic now, aren't you?

01:05:28 - 01:05:28 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:05:30 - 01:05:35 | Speaker 5:

Nope, not quite. Yeah. Didn't you get to use to fill up like a bucket, though? You could fill up as much as you want.

01:05:35 - 01:05:37 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, they changed that a few years ago.

01:05:37 - 01:05:39 | Speaker 3:

People were bringing in, like, kiddie pools and stuff.

01:05:39 - 01:05:41 | Speaker 2:

People like Vicky ruined it for us.

01:05:41 - 01:05:51 | Speaker 5:

You know what the funny thing is with Free Cone Day with Dairy Queen that you said again is next week? Monday. Free cones are great. There's something about just holding that cone.

01:05:51 - 01:05:56 | Speaker 2:

Well, they know you're going to upgrade, too, and you're going to end up spending money and getting something else while you're in there.

01:05:56 - 01:06:14 | Speaker 5:

That's what I wanted to talk about. You almost have to because they kind of don't give you enough. They kind of like, they're, you know, at bars, they say they're poor. You're a heavy poor. Like a bartender gives you a lot of alcohol. Yeah. Sometimes they're a bad twist. Right. You know what I mean? They're a small twist.

01:06:14 - 01:06:15 | Speaker 3:

You should see the motion he's making.

01:06:15 - 01:06:15 | Speaker 5:

Yes.

01:06:15 - 01:06:16 | Speaker 3:

That was good.

01:06:16 - 01:06:23 | Speaker 5:

But I always, I'm like, wait a second. I know it's free, but you got to at least give me what it would normally look like. What's up, Chels?

01:06:24 - 01:06:42 | Speaker 1:

Hey, good morning, guys. Good morning. Good morning. I was just talking about how my husband and I were in New Orleans, and we were violently hungover, and we waited over an hour in line for beignets. I did end up getting a free water bottle because I was so hungover, though.

01:06:43 - 01:06:53 | Speaker 3:

I have to tell you, there's a beignet truck here in the Detroit area that their beignets are comparable to New Orleans. We've had it. We've had them out to events before. They're so good.

01:06:53 - 01:07:00 | Speaker 2:

But Café du Monde on the French market, I'll wait in line for it. That's like, you travel to New Orleans, you've got to get the authentic.

01:07:00 - 01:07:07 | Speaker 3:

I forgot. I got too drunk. Can you imagine you get drunk on hurricanes,

01:07:07 - 01:07:20 | Speaker 5:

and then the next morning you go and soak it all up with a beignet. What's up? Is this Beyonce on the phone with us right now? Yes, it is. Hi, Beyonce. What's going on? I'm trying to get tickets to your show. I'd wait in line for that.

01:07:20 - 01:07:38 | Speaker 4:

Hey, I got tickets for you Listen, we waited in line For about three hours At the turkey leg in Houston And man It was definitely worth it I don't think I would do it anywhere else But we take a day trip just to go do that one

01:07:38 - 01:07:49 | Speaker 5:

You know, that's a good point How many times do you go to the Renaissance Festival And the lines are around the festival To get a turkey leg But you go there, you gotta get a turkey leg

01:07:49 - 01:07:51 | Speaker 4:

You have to, it's amazing

01:07:51 - 01:07:55 | Speaker 5:

So they actually have their own, a place where it just sells turkey legs?

01:07:56 - 01:08:03 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but if you go to Houston, I think it's in Third Ward, Houston, Texas It's amazing, I'm telling you If you're ever out there, try it

01:08:03 - 01:08:11 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, something unique, I get it Like you said, even the Renaissance Festival, because you do it once a year If it's Cone Day, you can get that cone tomorrow

01:08:11 - 01:09:11 | Speaker 5:

Do you know how pissed off I get at my son if I take him to the Renaissance Festival And he only takes two bites out of the leg that I just ate? You know what it is? It's Red Wing Wednesday. We're giving you a chance to win tickets to see the Red Wings play. If you want to win a pair of tickets to see the Wings, take on the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday at Little Caesars Arena. It's also college night. They will be honoring Northern Michigan University. So you have a chance right now to win 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Wings, Avalanche, Saturday, Little Caesars Arena. Good luck. Get your tickets on the Red Wings website. Oh, yeah. March Madness. It's March Madness for college basketball. And a lot of offices, including where Jeremy works, are doing those unofficial pools where you can make money off of filling out brackets, you know, and trying to get the perfect bracket.

01:09:11 - 01:09:14 | Speaker 2:

Where I can lose money. I never make money.

01:09:14 - 01:09:18 | Speaker 5:

Well, you're going to bust him for doing a legal bracket. Is that right?

01:09:19 - 01:09:26 | Speaker 2:

A legal pool? In this phone scam, they gave me all the info about him setting it up at the work. So I'm going to call and bust him for illegal gambling.

01:09:26 - 01:09:28 | Speaker 5:

It's a Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

01:09:28 - 01:09:55 | Speaker 2:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scams. Mojo in the Morning. Hello? Hey, how's it going, man? is this jeremy yes sir hey glad i got a hold of you i'm calling about the march madness brackets are you the uh are you the guy that's taking the money in the office yes i am it's gonna be a big

01:09:55 - 01:10:14 | Speaker 4:

cool this year man oh yeah like what are you thinking So we got max payouts going, first place, 70% of it. Second place, getting 10. And then the house, oh, we're actually giving 10% to third place as well. That's right. Nice. And then we're going to divide it up 10% for the house.

01:10:15 - 01:10:34 | Speaker 3:

Can I still get in on it? Yeah, man. Take your books to Squared. Oh, sweet. Yeah, yeah. Who is this again? Mr. F***, this is Detective Robert Blocks from the FBI in Washington, D.C., Gambling Compliance Division. We're contacting the authors of some online illegal activity. And, sir, we need about three minutes of your time to talk about this bracket.

01:10:35 - 01:10:37 | Speaker 5:

I don't understand. What is this?

01:10:38 - 01:10:56 | Speaker 3:

Well, sir, you just confirmed to me that you're the facilitator of your office pool for the quote-unquote big dance. But we didn't need your confirmation. We actually already have printouts of your transactions and brackets from Yahoo and CBS Sportsline. And I'm calling to inform you that you're in violation of a 1992 federal law which prohibits sports betting.

01:10:58 - 01:11:04 | Speaker 5:

Uh, I mean, I'm just doing what everyone else is doing. I don't understand what a big deal is.

01:11:04 - 01:11:05 | Speaker 3:

What do you mean, everybody's not breaking the law?

01:11:06 - 01:11:09 | Speaker 5:

I don't know what to say.

01:11:09 - 01:11:13 | Speaker 3:

Everyone drives 85 on their way home from work. Does that make it fine and legal?

01:11:14 - 01:11:18 | Speaker 5:

But there's been brackets and squares in this office every year since I started working here.

01:11:18 - 01:11:20 | Speaker 3:

Really? Did you work there in 1961?

01:11:22 - 01:11:22 | Speaker 4:

No.

01:11:22 - 01:11:40 | Speaker 3:

Because that's when they passed the Interstate Wire Act, making it illegal to communicate sports wagers over the wires, a rule the Department of Justice has deemed to include the Internet. And then there is the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act, which makes it illegal to accept payments related to gambling. I'm assuming you don't run a legally licensed casino in the state, do you?

01:11:41 - 01:11:42 | Speaker 4:

No, no, I don't.

01:11:42 - 01:11:49 | Speaker 3:

So there's not a lot of big gray area here, you understand? I suppose the only question remains is whether you will choose to pay the fine or do the time.

01:11:50 - 01:11:51 | Speaker 5:

Wait a minute, who do you say you're from?

01:11:51 - 01:12:03 | Speaker 3:

My name is Officer Robert Blocks, and we're going to have to schedule an interview to come in and talk to you. I'm not asking you to make a decision now, sir. I'm merely calling to confirm your current mailing address where we can send your bench warrant and notice to appear.

01:12:04 - 01:12:05 | Speaker 5:

Are you serious right now?

01:12:05 - 01:12:31 | Speaker 3:

I'm very serious, sir. And I love how people think the FBI is too busy to chase down the cubicle dwellers for dropping a 10 spot on UCLA. When you add it all up, there's over $2 billion in NCAA gambling going on this week in offices nationwide, and that's not something we can ignore. Now, your amount is in the thousands, as you just admitted to me on the phone, which could land you in jail, but more likely you could avoid that and just pay a fine of about $1,200.

01:12:32 - 01:12:36 | Speaker 5:

I've never heard of such things, so I'm going to have to talk to my lawyer.

01:12:37 - 01:12:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you will have to talk to a lawyer for sure, and I'm sure it's not your company's policy to allow illegal March Madness office pools for money, and that's why my next call is to your corporate management.

01:12:48 - 01:12:49 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh.

01:12:49 - 01:13:22 | Speaker 3:

And you also didn't claim last year's gambling winnings on a Schedule A tax form? And also, who'd you pick to go to the final for? I'm looking at this bracket. What the hell is wrong with you? This is Spike from the Mojo on the Morning Show. You deliver a crate of Cool Ranch Doritos, Locos, Tacos to this office, and I'll see if I can make your charges disappear. You've just been phone-skinned on the Mojo on the Morning Show. Oh, my God. Yeah, well, you're busted twice. You're busted with the phone scam, and then you're going to be busted with these brackets pretty quick.

01:13:22 - 01:13:24 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it sounds like it. Oh, my God.

01:13:29 - 01:13:44 | Speaker 1:

We will, we will scam you. Laugh all you want. We'll get you eventually. The world famous. It's the home of the world famous phone scams. Mojo in the morning.

01:13:45 - 01:13:52 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Amanda, you want to go see the wings? Oh, my God. Yeah. It's Red Wing Wednesdays. Congratulations. You got a pair of tickets.

01:13:53 - 01:13:55 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. Thank you so much. Oh, my God.

01:13:56 - 01:13:59 | Unknown:

What's up? What's up? What's up?

01:13:59 - 01:14:01 | Speaker 1:

Make some noise. Make some noise.

01:14:01 - 01:14:02 | Unknown:

Oh, speaking of that, you ready for this? Right. I'm going to give you guys a list before we go any further here. And let's see if you guys are on this list. The list of women's names that make a great wife.

01:17:07 - 01:17:08 | Speaker 2:

Oop, not me.

01:17:09 - 01:17:10 | Speaker 3:

You don't know that.

01:17:10 - 01:17:13 | Speaker 2:

You haven't seen this. She's like, that doesn't matter what my name is.

01:17:13 - 01:18:25 | Speaker 3:

Women with these names make a great wife, okay, according to this website that sells domains, domain names. Rihanna. They surveyed 2,000 people, and they found the names of the best wives. Are you ready for this? Here, I'll give you a drum roll on this one. Number 10, Lucy. Shannon, that's your daughters Number 9, Jessica Number 8, Amy Number 7, Elizabeth Number 6, Charlotte Number 5, Emily Number 4, Sarah Number 3, Louise Will Megan or Shannon be in the top two? Number 2, Sophie and the number one on the list Katie you guys didn't make the list

01:18:25 - 01:18:27 | Speaker 2:

you didn't make the list

01:18:27 - 01:18:29 | Speaker 3:

how could you guys not make the list

01:18:29 - 01:18:33 | Speaker 2:

it actually gives me like more faith in the list it does?

01:18:34 - 01:18:49 | Speaker 3:

why you think that because you didn't make the list that you would actually feel like yeah I don't know I look at this list and I sit there and I say to myself, it's kind of a random thing. But if I was, I want to know what the husband list is.

01:18:49 - 01:18:54 | Speaker 2:

I was just going to say, notice there isn't one. Yeah. I want to be on that list.

01:18:54 - 01:18:58 | Speaker 3:

I want to see if Mojo makes that list there. I bet you Mike makes that list.

01:18:58 - 01:18:59 | Speaker 2:

I don't know.

01:19:00 - 01:19:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. No, you are. We always talk all the time about how amazing of a husband you are and dad you are. Yes, we do.

01:19:07 - 01:19:07 | Speaker 1:

Average.

01:19:08 - 01:19:10 | Speaker 3:

But you're not on the list. I just want you to know.

01:19:11 - 01:19:39 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. My babysitter used to always play this song in her car. It's so funny. Thinking about as we prepare to blend families, my fiancee, Wes, and I, I'm like, oh, man, I've got to start doing wifey things again, like keeping dishes out of the sink and cooking dinner. It's just pressure I put on myself. He would never put that pressure on me. Oh, no. No, no, no.

01:19:39 - 01:19:47 | Speaker 2:

Isn't there implied pressure with how great of a husband you're about to have? Like, he's one of the best guys in the entire world. Oh, thank you.

01:19:47 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 1:

Well, it's more so just pressure that I put on myself because I feel like I should do those things, you know? But, yeah. Well, now. Because, like, living by myself, you know.

01:20:00 - 01:20:10 | Speaker 3:

I can leave like my little cluttery organized cluttery messes everywhere. I can like, I do whatever I want. And I'm like, Oh, I only have limited time doing that.

01:20:10 - 01:20:15 | Speaker 1:

You started dating Wes and getting engaged to him. And I'm always like, I love Wes, but I'm like, are you sure?

01:20:18 - 01:20:22 | Speaker 2:

Well, now you have research to back it up. You can just tell him, listen, my name's not on this list.

01:20:23 - 01:20:37 | Speaker 4:

Have you practiced yet the names of the kids and yelling at, at the names of all the kids? Because in my house, it's Joey, Jacob, Luke. Luke, Joey, Jake. Yeah. Oh, I haven't. Like, you have to do it.

01:20:37 - 01:20:38 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and you have to do it in an order?

01:20:38 - 01:20:48 | Speaker 4:

Well, I always end up, here's what happens. If I'm trying to yell at Luke, I always go, Joey, Jacob, Luke. And he's the last name, usually. Yeah. You're going to do it. So in your case, what is it? Smith, Lucy.

01:20:49 - 01:20:56 | Speaker 3:

Well, if I went oldest to youngest, it would be Kieran, Samantha, Lucy, Smith. That's a lot. Kieran's a tough one.

01:20:56 - 01:21:05 | Speaker 4:

Kieran's a tough one in that list. You're going to have to practice that. Yeah. You got to yell for them to come downstairs or whatever for dinner. Karen, Samantha, Smith, Lucy.

01:21:05 - 01:21:06 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, Lucy Smith.

01:21:06 - 01:21:31 | Speaker 4:

Lucy Smith. Yeah, that's always the tough one. Why is it that I used to hate that? I was one of six kids, and I would always hate it that my name would be left off that list, or my dad would never call me the right name, and now I'm doing it. It's kind of like the same thing where I said to myself, I would never wipe off something on my kid's face by licking my finger first and then wiping it off.

01:21:31 - 01:21:39 | Speaker 3:

See, the opposite wasn't great either. If your name was always the name that everybody yelled when they got mad, like when my mom would get mad, everybody was Mike. Then you don't feel any better.

01:21:40 - 01:22:02 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Right. In our house, it was always my brother Bill. My brother Bill was always the one that got yelled, and everybody else in my family would always go, man, poor Bill. He was the bad one. He was the Mike of our family. All right, Mojo in the Morning Show. Megan had something really crazy happen to her at her house, and it was caught on ring cam.

01:22:02 - 01:22:09 | Speaker 1:

You guys, it's amazing I'm still alive because I thought somebody was coming to murder me, especially by...

01:22:09 - 01:22:11 | Speaker 4:

Murder in the...

01:22:11 - 01:22:13 | Speaker 1:

In the Mick household. In the Mick household.

01:22:14 - 01:22:18 | Speaker 4:

Selena Gomez is going to star in this one here with Steve Martin.

01:22:18 - 01:22:45 | Speaker 1:

Actually, all right, set me up. All right. So you're saying I look like Selena Gomez. That's right, exactly. I'll take it. I'll take it. So I had this woman, which, by the way, let's talk about psychopathic behavior. Opened up my storm door to knock on the door. I feel like she crossed the line. You don't open up somebody's storm door to knock on their door. If you don't know them, correct. Even if you do know them. I'll see if I know them.

01:22:45 - 01:22:49 | Speaker 2:

I just walk right in. Just kidding. So no doorbell, huh? Just knock?

01:22:49 - 01:22:56 | Speaker 1:

Well, she started knocking because she was disrespectful and thought that my storm door was her property.

01:22:56 - 01:23:02 | Speaker 4:

Wait, so she didn't do the knock on the storm door. She opened the storm door and knocked on the door.

01:23:02 - 01:23:06 | Speaker 2:

Well, I think sometimes you have to do that because you don't hear the knock on the little storm door.

01:23:06 - 01:23:15 | Speaker 4:

But was the door, your door open or closed? Closed. Okay, so it was closed. So you still couldn't have just like walked.

01:23:15 - 01:23:19 | Speaker 1:

Also, my house is the size of a shoebox. You could sneeze outside and I would be like Somebody's here

01:23:19 - 01:23:29 | Speaker 4:

You guys watch the video monitors on this one This is her and the ring cam Megan's ring cam Wait what was that noise at the beginning

01:23:29 - 01:23:43 | Speaker 1:

Okay so this woman comes up to my door She falls on my porch She slips and drips Then opens up the storm door Knocks then rings The doorbell so she's adamant To get this door open

01:23:43 - 01:23:46 | Speaker 4:

All caught on ring cam Here she is walk again I can see her slip

01:23:46 - 01:24:06 | Speaker 1:

oh there she is she's cold she's cold and she giggles so she she is fierce protector she thinks she weighs 200 pounds what time is this again like nine o'clock at night

01:24:06 - 01:24:10 | Speaker 4:

Oh, there she is Now she's

01:24:10 - 01:24:17 | Speaker 1:

Hello, I'm here to get Kenny and Reagan

01:24:17 - 01:24:19 | Speaker 3:

I think you're probably at the wrong office

01:24:19 - 01:24:21 | Speaker 1:

I'm sorry

01:24:21 - 01:24:29 | Speaker 3:

Oh, she almost slept again Quick exit Oh my god, how did you survive that traumatic experience?

01:24:29 - 01:24:57 | Speaker 1:

I just started playing the video before I got the full story out So what happened was she knocked and she's laughing, right, because she slipped and fell on the way in. My house is very thin. We can hear her laughing outside. My brother and I look at each other. We're not expecting any guests. And she laughed and we went, oh, I think that's your girlfriend. She probably just stopped by. Maybe she was dropping something off. She does really nice things for us all the time. She stops by and we'll leave a cake. She's just amazing.

01:24:57 - 01:25:37 | Speaker 4:

Your brother's girlfriend. Yeah, I love her to death. Not this lady. So, somebody is laughing outside and we're thinking, oh, you know, it's your girlfriend. Go get the door. My brother was like, all right, I'll go get the door, which is why he answered it. And as he's opening up the door, this woman who has my storm door open now, she's knocking ringing the doorbell, just starts walking into my home. It does look like she's about to come in. She's literally walking into the home before my brother goes, uh, hello, like, I forget what he said, but can I help you? As she's stepping into my doorway and then looks up and goes, oh, I'm here to pick up so-and-so realizes it's not who walks into a home before looking at who's answering the door

01:25:37 - 01:25:51 | Speaker 3:

wow there she is yeah this is the most megan mick story in the entire world that was the most basic basic of basic things to have she knocked on the door and then looked up and went oops it's the

01:25:51 - 01:26:02 | Speaker 4:

wrong person and then walked away you don't think she looks like she's ready to just walking into my house. No, she doesn't look like she's going to come. No, she does not. Hang on, I gotta watch. She's literally walking into my

01:26:02 - 01:26:16 | Speaker 2:

house. Megan almost was killed by the lady knocking on the door. By the nice lady who actually almost got killed on Megan's front porch twice.

01:26:16 - 01:26:18 | Speaker 4:

She's walking into my house. Hey,

01:26:18 - 01:26:23 | Speaker 2:

what's up, Jeremy? Mojo in the Morning Show. Say hello to Megan.

01:26:23 - 01:26:25 | Speaker 1:

There's a lady right falling down her

01:26:25 - 01:26:31 | Speaker 2:

stairs or falling up her stairs yeah serves her right because she was trying to kill megan by

01:26:31 - 01:26:37 | Speaker 1:

walking into her house falling down the stairs yeah now you guys had a stranger walking into

01:26:37 - 01:26:42 | Speaker 4:

your house when you open up the door you would not be calling me crazy right now jeremy what's

01:26:42 - 01:26:55 | Speaker 2:

the what's the etiquette jeremy of uh when you're knocking can you open the storm door to knock on the wood door or should you just knock on the storm door do you not have the right to touch that

01:26:55 - 01:27:04 | Speaker 1:

door it determines i mean i guess uh knocking on the uh the storm door instead of opening it

01:27:04 - 01:27:32 | Speaker 2:

yeah because the storm door you can still hear it if you knock on that and why did she not ring the doorbell uh the ring cam yeah right yeah but megan i don't know i kind of and i think that the video needs to get post because I think listeners need to see it. She doesn't necessarily walk in. She does look like when the door opened. She's about to walk in. Well, it looked like when the door opened, she just thought it was the people that she was going to and she kind of looked like she was making that motion, but as soon as she saw your brother Sean, she backed off. My brother,

01:27:32 - 01:27:38 | Speaker 4:

because she was walking into the house, starts closing the door in her face. It's like, don't come in. Oh, really? Who are you?

01:27:38 - 01:27:40 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Was he scared?

01:27:41 - 01:27:49 | Speaker 4:

I mean, it's nine o'clock at night and somebody you don't know is trying to walk into your house yeah it's a little weird it's not that extreme

01:27:49 - 01:27:54 | Speaker 3:

it's not that extreme so you open the door and knocked on the door and then went oh whoops and

01:27:54 - 01:28:09 | Speaker 2:

then turned around and walked away do you ever uh talk through the voice activation of your ring cam because i do that all the time i'll be like can i help you and he talks right over the thing and the people go yeah i'm here to get a signature you know or something like that bro no i need to

01:28:09 - 01:28:26 | Speaker 4:

for your safety rings i'm not answering if my brother's not there i'm not even answering the door i hit the ground i crawled to a window i peeked the blinds open you know normal behavior no way would i answer the door rachel what's up it's mojo in the morning so i had a similar

01:28:26 - 01:28:53 | Speaker 6:

situation i was actually like six months pregnant and my house is one of those old houses that they convert it into two apartments upstairs downstairs so you still can go through the same door Well, it was like 9, 10 o'clock at night, pretty late. And I see someone walk past my door. I don't know how because I was asleep. And something just woke me up. I see someone walk past my bedroom door. I look. There's some girl peeing in my bathroom.

01:28:53 - 01:28:55 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. What? Oh, my God.

01:28:55 - 01:29:01 | Speaker 4:

Who was it? Now, Mike would tell you that you're overreacting by that. And you should have just offered them a better time.

01:29:01 - 01:29:04 | Speaker 3:

You see how different those two stories are? She doesn't, obviously.

01:29:05 - 01:29:27 | Speaker 6:

I'm like, what the heck are you doing in my bathroom? Get the hell out of my house. And it turns out it was my neighbor's friend who walked in my house. And I don't know how my door got open because I keep it locked. I keep it locked. Well, I look outside. My neighbor, I'm like, why is your friend in my house? Mind you, I do have, you know, safety features in my house.

01:29:27 - 01:29:28 | Speaker 5:

That's crazy.

01:29:29 - 01:29:37 | Speaker 6:

And I'm like, how do you get an upstairs confused from a downstairs? Did you not tell your friend to go upstairs? Because my neighbor never locks her house.

01:29:38 - 01:29:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Mojo in the morning. Michelle, hi.

01:29:42 - 01:30:32 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. We had an unexpected visitor as well. So my son and a few of his teammates were hockey. All of us came back to our house. Some people are in the family room. Some people are in the living room. Myself and two other moms are sitting in the living room. All of a sudden, this teenage girl walks. into the house she started taking off her shoes it looks like she's got like a prom dress bag in her hand and we all sat there and we said well hi and she said hi like nothing was going wrong nothing excuse me nothing was different and she said am i in the wrong house and we kind of looked at her i said unless you're a 10 year old hockey player i don't know that you're in the right house and she said i'm looking for sophia i'm like there is no sophia here she puts on her shoes and said this is the most embarrassing thing I've ever done.

01:30:34 - 01:30:41 | Speaker 1:

Do we have to blot out the lady's face if we post this? Because it is Megan's ring cam. Does it matter?

01:30:41 - 01:30:42 | Speaker 3:

Not sure.

01:30:43 - 01:30:43 | Speaker 1:

I don't know.

01:30:43 - 01:30:52 | Speaker 4:

I also think, by the way, I would be more scared because of time of day. Yeah. Because it was dark. It was nighttime. It was nine something at night. Yeah, I mean, that adds to it, too.

01:30:53 - 01:30:55 | Speaker 1:

I want to post this thing.

01:30:55 - 01:30:56 | Speaker 4:

I feel like we do have to.

01:30:56 - 01:30:57 | Speaker 1:

Really? All right. I don't know.

01:30:57 - 01:30:58 | Speaker 4:

Better safe than sorry.

01:30:58 - 01:31:10 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to try to get a post because I want people to be able to hear it now or see it now so that they can not give Megan any sympathy like Mike's not

01:31:10 - 01:31:11 | Speaker 4:

I don't know if she knew she was being recorded

01:31:11 - 01:31:33 | Speaker 2:

I'm watching the video you can read the situation he doesn't close the door you can see it in the other door she doesn't barge in she opens the door like a normal human being I've opened the storm door a million times and knocked on a door it's not that big of a deal if you don't want it open, lock it None of this is screams to me She tried to barge in And it's a terrifying situation

01:31:33 - 01:31:39 | Speaker 3:

Well, it's because the home belongs to a hermit Who does not talk to human beings Sorry, Megan

01:31:39 - 01:31:41 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Christina?

01:31:43 - 01:31:57 | Speaker 6:

Hey, so I'm with Megan I'm sorry, this is happening to me Like three times And I also have a ring doorbell Megan, you need to lock your storm door I've had to literally lock my storm door Because I've had people try to just bang on my door And basically try to barge in

01:31:57 - 01:31:57 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

01:31:58 - 01:31:59 | Speaker 6:

You've said it to me three times.

01:31:59 - 01:31:59 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, smart.

01:32:00 - 01:32:01 | Speaker 3:

Do you guys have a peephole?

01:32:02 - 01:32:04 | Speaker 6:

No, I don't have a peephole.

01:32:05 - 01:32:12 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I don't have one, and I keep thinking, like, I should get one, because same thing. I can't see who's at the door knocking. Yeah.

01:32:12 - 01:32:28 | Speaker 4:

See, mine's the opposite, and it's almost bad, because there's no hiding. All of the doors in my house are just windows. Right. Do you know what I mean? It's just like a piece of glass, so there's no hitting the ground like Megan does and crawling to see it. Tuck and roll, baby. Tuck and roll. There's no tuck and roll.

01:32:31 - 01:34:05 | Speaker 1:

Guys, we're going away for St. Patrick's Day. We're going to be going away two places. Mike and Megan are coming into Detroit. So they're going to be coming into the Detroit area where we're going to have St. Patrick's Day on Friday at Kennedy's Irish Pub. And then on Saturday, Spike, Shannon, myself, KP, Lydia, Megan, we're all going to visit Mike. And we're going to go to Grand Rapids for Irish on Ionia. So we've got two places, two great places to hang out with the Mojo in the Morning Show. If you're someone that has never partied with us, come on. Do it for the first time. I promise you, you'll come back and do it again. Because we've got regulars that have been doing it for years, and we'd love to see some new faces. I know we always get the first-time caller, long-time listener comments. Well, how about this? Or long-time listener, first-time partying, and probably throwing up in a puke bucket afterwards. So, again, Friday, Kennedy's Irish Pub in Waterford, Michigan, Saturday, Irish on Ionia. If you want to go, you can get passes to go Saturday up on irishonionia.com slash 2023 or just have to show up and be one of the first come, first served. Mojo in the Morning Show. All right, so Shannon's going to tell this story, but before you do, I want to solicit for this. I want you to tell us by like a word what it is that you do for a living. And Shannon, say the word of what it is that you're going to talk about here right now.

01:34:05 - 01:34:07 | Speaker 4:

Well, it's more of a phrase.

01:34:07 - 01:34:07 | Speaker 1:

A phrase.

01:34:08 - 01:34:11 | Speaker 4:

I look at vaginas all day.

01:34:11 - 01:34:17 | Speaker 1:

Okay. All right. We got to try to guess where Shannon was yesterday. I'm assuming Dr. Warner's office.

01:34:17 - 01:34:18 | Speaker 4:

That is not the correct answer.

01:34:18 - 01:34:25 | Speaker 1:

Okay. what is it that you do based on a phrase or the word and we'll have to try to guess it so what's the story?

01:34:26 - 01:34:41 | Speaker 4:

so I had to go to a place I talk about all of the time by the way, Muse Med Spots in Troy it's in the Detroit area because I was getting a little laser hair removal done and I was getting a bunch of areas touched up so I get my legs lasered oh amazing

01:34:41 - 01:34:45 | Speaker 6:

legs are the only thing I have not had lasered on my body

01:34:45 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 4:

okay, saves you from shaving And I also was doing my Christmas, my bikini area. So, which is like really, I've had this done many times over the years. Again, this was just a touch up, but it's still, it never gets less awkward.

01:35:00 - 01:35:08 | Speaker 2:

of, you know, and shout out to Rhonda who did it for me, but you have to like sit there and spread your legs and they're like all up in there.

01:35:08 - 01:35:09 | Speaker 3:

How long does that process take?

01:35:10 - 01:35:12 | Speaker 2:

Under 10 minutes.

01:35:12 - 01:35:16 | Speaker 3:

Do you just go in every once in a while and get the full blast done or do you do it once and then

01:35:16 - 01:35:20 | Speaker 2:

you do touch-ups? I do a touch-up like every other year, maybe.

01:35:20 - 01:35:22 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's not the full blast or full ass.

01:35:23 - 01:35:24 | Speaker 2:

You get the whole thing.

01:35:24 - 01:35:28 | Speaker 3:

I didn't know if you have to get the whole thing done all over every once in a while. However you

01:35:28 - 01:36:00 | Speaker 2:

want it. You do however you want it. So she's like all up there and I think I apologize for the whole 10 minutes. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. Because it's just. But that's her job. Right. And that's what she said. She goes, Shannon, I look at vaginas all day. It is not a big deal. And I thought that's so funny if somebody ever asked her what she did and she didn't say like I, you know, I work at Muse Med Spa. I do laser hair removal. If her answer was simply, I look at vaginas all day, that is her literal job description.

01:36:00 - 01:36:05 | Speaker 1:

Would you know what she does for a living based on what she says her description is?

01:36:05 - 01:36:06 | Speaker 2:

Right.

01:36:06 - 01:36:11 | Speaker 1:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number.

01:36:11 - 01:36:51 | Speaker 2:

By the way, while we're waiting for calls, I had Lucy with me yesterday for this appointment. And so now Muse has this like cute little waiting area. And then they take you back, you know, to the various treatment rooms based on what you're getting done. And she had like a little test that she was studying for. So I said, sit here. Mom, it's only going to be 10 minutes and I'll be right back out. And I said, if you get really scared, you can come back. Well, of course, I didn't think she'd come back. She comes back as my legs are spread. And this lady is like all up in my Christmas. And she's like, what are you doing? So I had to explain to my almost nine-year-old what I was doing, which was really interesting.

01:36:51 - 01:36:54 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. How did she take that? Was she traumatized?

01:36:54 - 01:37:04 | Speaker 2:

She wasn't. I mean, she sees me naked. We're both girls. But her question was, do I have to do that too someday? Oh, no. And I said, only if you want to.

01:37:04 - 01:37:14 | Speaker 1:

All right. Mojo in the morning. So tell us the phrase, and we have to guess what you do. Nicole, what's the phrase?

01:37:15 - 01:37:16 | Speaker 4:

I capture people.

01:37:16 - 01:37:23 | Speaker 1:

I capture people. Oh, I know this one. You are a police officer.

01:37:23 - 01:37:25 | Speaker 3:

I'm not. Photographer.

01:37:26 - 01:37:32 | Speaker 2:

I am a photographer. Oh. I was going to say you're a parapro at a school and you run after little kids.

01:37:33 - 01:37:35 | Speaker 3:

Or I shoot people, you could say, too.

01:37:36 - 01:37:44 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh, yes. Thank you for the call. What's going on, Casey? Hi, guys. How are you? We're good. What do you do, Casey?

01:37:45 - 01:37:47 | Speaker 4:

I sell drugs.

01:37:49 - 01:37:51 | Speaker 1:

Are you a pharmacist?

01:37:52 - 01:37:54 | Speaker 4:

I sure am. I love it.

01:37:54 - 01:38:10 | Speaker 1:

Good thing. Nice. I like that. I actually call Monty, our pharmacist, the dealer. I call him the legal drug dealer. What's going on, Marlene? Good morning, boo. Hey, what's happening? It's good to talk to you. You always call it through the same time. Do you ever notice that?

01:38:11 - 01:38:14 | Speaker 4:

Uh-uh. Well, I listen to you guys every morning.

01:38:14 - 01:38:26 | Speaker 1:

But you're always during the times that we're doing the commercial free hour. I kind of like that. That's good. Good listening that we get from you. Marlene, what do you do? We never had that conversation before when you called us up.

01:38:27 - 01:38:33 | Speaker 4:

Okay. My professional job is totally different from my personality, okay? I am awesome at both.

01:38:33 - 01:38:34 | Speaker 1:

All right. So tell us the phrase.

01:38:34 - 01:38:58 | Speaker 4:

i help people with their final journey oh wow do you work in a funeral home no hospice yes oh wow wow marlene wow yes i absolutely love helping people when they're at their their weakest darkest moment and to help the families get through that is just it's amazing

01:38:58 - 01:39:06 | Speaker 1:

What a job, because you are always one of our favorite phone calls that we have. So if I encounter you as my last person, I would love that.

01:39:07 - 01:39:14 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but remember, my professional Marlene and radio Marlene and outside of work Marlene, we're two different people.

01:39:15 - 01:39:22 | Speaker 1:

I think you should bring your radio Marlene into your professional Marlene, because I think Marlene's fun. Raven, hi, give us your phrase.

01:39:23 - 01:39:25 | Speaker 4:

I wear blood on my hand.

01:39:25 - 01:39:32 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. Oh. I wear blood on my hand. That sounds like something that should be like in a movie line, right? I wear blood on my hands.

01:39:32 - 01:39:35 | Speaker 3:

Are you a phlebotomist that's really bad at your job?

01:39:36 - 01:39:38 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no, I am not. Okay.

01:39:38 - 01:39:40 | Speaker 1:

I wear blood on my hands.

01:39:40 - 01:39:41 | Speaker 4:

Blood on my hands.

01:39:41 - 01:39:45 | Speaker 1:

I don't get it. Something medical field, I'm guessing.

01:39:46 - 01:39:46 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:39:46 - 01:39:51 | Speaker 1:

Medical field. What would it be? I wear blood on my hands. Are you the person that goes into bodies and, like, grabs things?

01:39:54 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 4:

I mean, sure. I'm an operating room nurse. Oh, wow.

01:40:00 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 3:

That's what you literally do.

01:40:00 - 01:40:01 | Speaker 2:

It's amazing.

01:40:02 - 01:40:06 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah. And I also look at vaginas all day. I want to try to talk to you.

01:40:06 - 01:40:09 | Speaker 2:

I do too. Which one's more gross?

01:40:11 - 01:40:11 | Speaker 3:

What?

01:40:11 - 01:40:15 | Speaker 2:

Blood on your hands or having to look at some people's vaginas?

01:40:16 - 01:40:19 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no problem with vaginas. I have no problem with those.

01:40:19 - 01:40:22 | Speaker 2:

But have you ever had somebody come in and you're like, they need to take care of that vagina?

01:40:24 - 01:40:25 | Unknown:

I mean.

01:40:26 - 01:40:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, just a few people. I get it. I get it, yeah. Justin, hi. I want to see Marlene have to work with vaginas because you know Marlene would give them crap. Justin? Hey. Hey, tell us the phrase.

01:40:40 - 01:40:42 | Speaker 1:

So I handle people's junk.

01:40:44 - 01:40:48 | Speaker 3:

Are you a garbage man? Close to it, yeah.

01:40:48 - 01:40:51 | Speaker 1:

So I do full-service junk with people. I like that.

01:40:51 - 01:40:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah.

01:40:52 - 01:40:58 | Speaker 4:

I was going to say vasectomies. I was going to say it. I think that's a great slogan for his truck. I handle people's junk.

01:40:58 - 01:41:05 | Speaker 2:

That is really, really good. Thank you for the call. I appreciate it. Tamara or Tamara?

01:41:06 - 01:41:07 | Speaker 3:

Tamara, yeah.

01:41:07 - 01:41:08 | Speaker 2:

Tamara, what's up?

01:41:09 - 01:41:10 | Speaker 3:

I make people cry.

01:41:11 - 01:41:12 | Speaker 2:

I make people cry.

01:41:12 - 01:41:20 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I know what you are. I know. I know what you are. You're an eye doctor and you do that little poof machine. No.

01:41:20 - 01:41:21 | Speaker 2:

No. Wow.

01:41:22 - 01:41:24 | Speaker 3:

I don't know why I got so excited about that. I hated that thing.

01:41:24 - 01:41:27 | Speaker 2:

You are human resources and you fire people.

01:41:28 - 01:41:29 | Speaker 3:

No.

01:41:29 - 01:41:30 | Speaker 2:

Are you a tax accountant?

01:41:32 - 01:41:33 | Speaker 4:

No. Are you a therapist?

01:41:34 - 01:41:35 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:41:35 - 01:41:38 | Speaker 4:

Oh. Two points for Griffith.

01:41:38 - 01:41:45 | Speaker 3:

Yes, and it's a personal victory, everybody, that I make cry. Wow. That's amazing. Karen, you're amazing at your job, my Karen.

01:41:45 - 01:41:49 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I thought you were going to say that's Tamara. I was like, oh. No.

01:41:49 - 01:41:58 | Speaker 4:

You want to hear my literal job description? Yes. Yeah. Just came up with this. Every morning, I'm waking up with lots of strange women, and they wake up and laugh at me.

01:42:00 - 01:42:01 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's true.

01:42:02 - 01:42:40 | Speaker 2:

You are a vagina specialist. Yes. Have you ever seen a bad vagina? Wait, do you want to do one for us? You want to do one for yourself? Yeah. Go ahead. Just getting gaslit by men all day. But that's pretty much any profession, right? There you go. Hey! You're still upset because a mic doesn't believe you that somebody was trying to get in your house? Is that why you're saying that? Salty. I just want to know what this person's is. Rachel, what's yours? Hi, I play board games all day. You play board games all day. Now that I can't figure out. I play board games all day. Are you like a preschool teacher?

01:42:42 - 01:42:42 | Speaker 3:

No.

01:42:43 - 01:42:43 | Speaker 2:

Huh.

01:42:44 - 01:42:45 | Speaker 3:

I play board games all day.

01:42:45 - 01:42:48 | Speaker 2:

I don't know, but I want to sign up for this job. Where do I find it?

01:42:49 - 01:42:55 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, what do you do? So I'm a pediatric occupational therapist. Oh, my God.

01:42:55 - 01:43:06 | Speaker 2:

Very cool. That was a great job. You think we were going to get that? You're trying, seriously. There is no way that we would get it. I'm very competitive. I'm competitive. I know you are. You are way too competitive.

01:43:06 - 01:43:09 | Speaker 4:

Hopefully competitive with us and not the children's.

01:43:11 - 01:43:17 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. Well, you know. Thank you for the call. I appreciate it. No problem. All right. Those are good at that.

01:43:17 - 01:43:27 | Speaker 3:

Some of these are great. People love my nuts. I work on my hands and knees in people's houses. These are very creative.

01:43:27 - 01:43:28 | Speaker 4:

Text messages are great.

01:43:29 - 01:43:30 | Speaker 2:

01:43:50 - 01:43:58 | Speaker 2:

All right, we'll get you caught up on what's trending this morning in the Dirty on the 30. And, Shannon, what do you got in this hour's Dirty on the 30s?

01:43:58 - 01:45:31 | Speaker 3:

Well, Lil Nas X, excuse me, is apologizing to the trans community for mocking transitioning. I want to explain how this all started before I get to his apology. He first posted a photo of Influencer Glow Princess to his social media pages. And he captioned the photo, The surgery was a success, inferring that he'd recently undergone gender-affirming surgery. However, the joke didn't really sit right with some of his followers who called out Lil Nas X for making the trans community the punchline of a joke in light of all of this recent anti-LGBTQIA plus legislation that's happening to which Lil Nas X fired back. I'm literally just saying she looks like me y'all cannot be effing serious and then he there was more there was more I'm not gonna go into like everything that he said but so now he's saying his I'm sorry's Lil Nas X tweeting apologies to the trans community I def handled that situation with anger instead of considering why it was not cool much love to you guys sorry Lindsay Lohan going to be a mama. She announced on Instagram yesterday that she is pregnant with her first child. She and her husband, Bader Shamas. They got married last summer. She posted a photo of a onesie. It had coming soon written on it. And the caption said, we are blessed and excited. The Detroit Lions and former Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery reached an agreement on a three-year $18 million deal, including $11 million guaranteed yesterday. Now, that's all said and done. But what's going to happen to Jamal Williams?

01:45:32 - 01:45:36 | Speaker 1:

He's going to go signing with the Buffalo Bills. That's the question a lot of fans are wondering right now

01:45:36 - 01:45:40 | Speaker 3:

because he enters this offseason as an unrestricted free agent.

01:45:40 - 01:45:45 | Speaker 1:

Honestly, I think that they're smart not to re-sign him for the amount of money that he's going to probably get paid.

01:45:45 - 01:45:46 | Speaker 4:

I love him.

01:45:47 - 01:45:55 | Speaker 1:

I love him. He's great. He's awesome. But I've got to be honest with you, our offense is awesome to just bring in some other people and do running back by committee.

01:45:55 - 01:46:01 | Speaker 2:

Dude, whoever is running the Lions TikTok is going to scream if he's not there because he's half their contact. That is true.

01:46:01 - 01:46:08 | Speaker 3:

Also, while we're talking football, and correct me if I'm wrong here, today is the day that the New York Jets will make that trade for Aaron Rodgers.

01:46:08 - 01:46:39 | Speaker 1:

We've been saying that for like the last week, but everybody on ESPN has been saying it all morning that today is the day that they will announce that there's a trade between the Packers and the Jets. Yesterday was an interesting day. The Jets signed every one of the Green Bay Packers wide receivers that were good so they're all didn't he have like a wish list he did and uh you know del beckham is one of those people so we'll see if they they actually get to sign him more trouble for the

01:46:39 - 01:47:25 | Speaker 3:

chrisley family kyle chrisley was just arrested on assault charges two months after his reality show star parents todd and julie chrisley from chrisley knows best began doing time in federal prison for bank fraud and tax evasion so their son kyle arrested and booked at rutherford County Jail in Tennessee on felony aggravated assault charges. He was later released after posting Bond. I don't really have details in terms of what exactly happened or what led to the incident. 01:49:14 - 01:49:18 | Speaker 3:

No. And honestly, I am so very intrigued by this.

01:49:18 - 01:49:32 | Speaker 1:

We were having a conversation about her, and we were talking about arranged marriage, and she gave us some information about herself that's going to be very revealing that you will hear in just a matter of moments. Don't go anywhere. We'll be right back.

01:49:33 - 01:49:48 | Speaker 2:

01:50:00 - 01:50:02 | Speaker 2:

665-6548. Hopefully you're nice to her.

01:50:03 - 01:50:20 | Speaker 1:

Although you will not hear her voice now because you'll hear her on the phone. You'll hear it on the radio because she's coming in to talk to us here today. Hello. So you had a topic. First off, I love this topic. But it was what we learned when we were doing our pre-show meeting that I think I even loved more than just your topics.

01:50:21 - 01:50:23 | Speaker 4:

Okay. So where do I start?

01:50:23 - 01:50:26 | Speaker 1:

So start with your topic. So no givebacks.

01:50:26 - 01:51:03 | Speaker 4:

All right. So my mom and dad and I were having dinner yesterday. And as we were having conversation, my dad brought up how my grandmother on their wedding day, my parents' wedding day, she said there's no givebacks. So she's like, once you have Cyan, you cannot give her back to us. And I thought it was interesting because I had never told my parents this, but a guy that I was promised to in the past, so they knew I was promised to him. They just didn't know what his mom would say to me. So his mom told me, now that you guys are promised, you cannot give him back to me. And I thought it was the biggest red flag ever.

01:51:03 - 01:51:07 | Speaker 3:

So no give backs, meaning, so you were talking about your grandma?

01:51:08 - 01:51:11 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. So basically, you can't screw up this marriage. That's it.

01:51:11 - 01:51:13 | Speaker 3:

You're married, you're married, there's no out.

01:51:14 - 01:51:31 | Speaker 1:

And I love, because I think that your idea for this topic was, your idea was, hey, you know, did anybody, what did they say to you when you, you know, were mad or getting married? Like, what did the in-laws say? What is stuff like that? But you just said something very interesting that we all got just as intrigued with this time. You were promised to someone.

01:51:32 - 01:51:35 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and I've never told any of you this. I don't think I've mentioned it ever.

01:51:36 - 01:51:39 | Speaker 1:

So tell everybody, tell everybody what your background is.

01:51:39 - 01:51:40 | Speaker 4:

So I'm Chaldean.

01:51:41 - 01:51:41 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

01:51:41 - 01:51:49 | Speaker 4:

Which means that when we get married traditionally, we do a promising, which is a tenetha, and then we do an engagement and then a wedding.

01:51:49 - 01:51:50 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

01:51:50 - 01:52:00 | Speaker 4:

So the promising is basically just the groom's side coming to the bride's side and saying, like the family, and saying, hey, can we have your daughter's hand to join in our family?

01:52:00 - 01:52:04 | Speaker 3:

Can that happen at any age or is that typically like when you're a little bit older?

01:52:04 - 01:52:07 | Speaker 4:

It's usually when you're like probably around 19, 20 and up.

01:52:08 - 01:52:10 | Speaker 3:

Okay. And so did that happen to you? Yes.

01:52:10 - 01:52:22 | Speaker 4:

You had a promising. i had a promising but it wasn't like a party or anything it was basically just our families combining with each other and getting to know each other and then he asked for my hand to my dad

01:52:22 - 01:52:34 | Speaker 2:

wow and your dad said he said yeah yes yeah to clarify is the promising an arranged marriage or is it just you it's the next step in courting when you you guys met naturally started dating

01:52:34 - 01:52:51 | Speaker 4:

so i can go either way okay we met organically but like my parents for example had both been promised right but in a pre-arranged way they were promised they were promised to each other or promised they were promised beforehand okay beforehand beforehand and then so in their

01:52:51 - 01:53:02 | Speaker 1:

situation it was more pre-arranged so they were actually more arranged and so in their first both your mom and your dad had a marriage that ended up in divorce before okay and the situation where

01:53:02 - 01:53:22 | Speaker 4:

you were promised is that something you were interested in um i i honestly no i'll be honest At the time, no, but I thought it was the right thing to do because, I mean, I want kids one day. I want a marriage. I want a family. So do you have any contact? Who is this guy? I dated him for about two and a half years. We have no contact whatsoever.

01:53:22 - 01:53:22 | Speaker 1:

Really?

01:53:23 - 01:53:26 | Speaker 4:

Even his family has blocked me on everything. I don't know what they're up to.

01:53:27 - 01:53:30 | Speaker 1:

What ended the promise? What made you guys decide not to?

01:53:30 - 01:53:34 | Speaker 4:

He was really toxic. He just was not a good person.

01:53:34 - 01:53:38 | Speaker 1:

And then you – this was when you were – that was young, 19.

01:53:39 - 01:53:43 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I started dating him at 19, and then we got promised around – I was 21.

01:53:43 - 01:53:48 | Speaker 2:

Wow. What's good in your heart, you knew this wasn't the right way. This wasn't the right time. Yeah.

01:53:48 - 01:54:07 | Speaker 1:

So I'm so intrigued by arranged marriage because I have to be perfectly honest with you. If I were a single guy, I would want to do an arranged marriage. Dating sucks. Who wants to date? I mean, come on. Think of this, Megan. if we could just seriously okay here you go boop boop boop that's what it sounds like full on

01:54:07 - 01:54:15 | Speaker 5:

I'm down more and more for arranged marriages I have been watching the married at first sight and the love

01:54:15 - 01:54:23 | Speaker 3:

Indian matchmaking is a great so two seasons it's so interesting and it's all about that if you have two people on board

01:54:23 - 01:54:35 | Speaker 5:

and like are into this I feel like it could be very successful and you look at arranged marriages and their success rates and they're typically happier couples and yeah way less divorce it seems unorthodox to us in

01:54:35 - 01:54:50 | Speaker 2:

western culture because we're not used to it but they there's a different mindset going into those relationships that it seems the couple is fighting harder to make it work because they don't see divorce as an option you're supposed to keep their family alive you hit the nail on the head and it's

01:54:50 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 5:

the mindset like it can't be done against your like if you're the one choosing to do it i'm so interested in it. I feel bad for people who don't choose to do it.

01:55:00 - 01:55:39 | Speaker 3:

But no givebacks. No givebacks on this whole thing. I'm sorry, you guys. If we're doing an arranged marriage, you're doing this thing. It's funny. Chelsea's dad, going back to Lydia's thing, Chelsea's dad said something kind of like that. I think Chelsea's dad's thing was, if I have to come and have to take Chelsea back, you are not going to be very happy. That was kind of his talk, basically, to me. That that was the case. because he knew that if that was the case, I was probably not a very good guy or there was going to be a bad situation. Omar is on with us right now. Omar, what's going on?

01:55:40 - 01:56:08 | Speaker 2:

How's it going, guys? So I was just wanting to comment on the arranged marriage thing. I was arranged with my wife, but it's, like, more not in the sense that a lot of people think. You know, we were introduced by family. We were allowed to talk for, like, a year and stuff, and at the end of the year, we're like, yeah you know i can see this going somewhere and uh we're married been married for seven years now i have two kids and so you know it's not as bad as people think so you were but you were allowed

01:56:08 - 01:56:15 | Speaker 1:

to say no thank you after you got to know your now um yeah because actually before my so i was

01:56:15 - 01:56:58 | Speaker 2:

extremely busy with school and work and to be honest i never really had time to date um so when my mom approached me she's like hey are you okay with me um you know finding somebody for you i said you know why not and originally i was very against it because i was like oh that's weird because um you know culturally i'm from pakistan born and raised here same thing with my wife i thought that was a very old way fashion way of doing things um but obviously as life life takes over you get busy um so actually i was met someone before my wife and uh i didn't really like the person we talked for like maybe two three months and i told my wife i'm like yeah this ain't it And so, but then obviously after I've met my wife and, you know, things went pretty great.

01:56:58 - 01:57:20 | Speaker 3:

You were good. I would wonder about that. If you did the arranged marriage, is this like gym class when they pair you up with somebody in gym class to do, you know, to do a game and you get paired up with the person that you don't want to get paired up with? You know what I mean? Or science projects or projects in school. You ever had that where the teacher says, yeah, you guys got to work together and you're like, but he's the dummy or she's the dummy.

01:57:20 - 01:57:22 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to have to do everything.

01:57:22 - 01:57:33 | Speaker 3:

Is that what arranged marriage is like? But then at the end of the whole deal, when you do those project pairings like the teachers do, you end up being friends with the people that you end up doing the projects with.

01:57:33 - 01:57:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah. Yes, absolutely. I mean, my wife is definitely my best friend. So, you know, I think I'm pretty lucky in that sense.

01:57:39 - 01:57:42 | Speaker 3:

That's awesome. Yeah, good to hear, man. That's awesome.

01:57:42 - 01:57:54 | Speaker 1:

I guess my question is, and not so much to him because he, you know, he got to know his wife for a year before they were married. But, like, do you miss out on that? Like, the falling in love is...

01:57:54 - 01:57:56 | Speaker 4:

But you still fall in love sometimes.

01:57:56 - 01:58:06 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I guess you're right. I mean, on the show, the Indian Matchmaking show, a lot of them end up, they do fall in love. But, like... And my question is, love that important?

01:58:07 - 01:58:18 | Speaker 4:

That sounds weird. That sounds weird, but if you're in a marriage, do you always love your partner? Or is what important, your trust and your friendship? Your partnership. Yeah, your partnership.

01:58:18 - 01:59:09 | Speaker 3:

Well, I think it definitely takes away the physical first and now, you know what I mean? Because you really can't look at the physical because now you've got to get right, you're diving right into the emotional aspect and the family aspect of the whole deal. So very interesting. Very interesting. I did not know that about Lydia. Isn't it, you know what's weird? You know what actually could be a really good topic? Like, what did you find out about somebody after knowing them for a long period of time? You know, think about this. We've worked with Lydia since Lydia was, you know, part-time promotions person working here at the radio station. You know, she worked in the promotions team. And then she kind of worked her way into working on the radio show. And all the time that we're together, we don't really know anything about the people that we work with. And when we hear a story like that, and it makes me sit there and I think we should do background checks.

01:59:10 - 01:59:19 | Speaker 5:

I mean, you guys have all met Gina, the cleaning lady. She's been working here for two decades. Love her. How many people know until I sat and talked with her one afternoon, she's a trained assassin.

01:59:21 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 3:

Are you joking? No, I'm not. I can see it. Can I tell you something? Have you ever seen Gina the Cleaning Lady carrying the boxes into the radio studio that were left outside by the UPS? She can bench 400. I'm not kidding you when I say this to you. This woman's job is to just be cleaning hair, right? That's her job. She keeps everything so nice and clean and neat and stuff. I saw her doing that, and I'm like, we got to, like, give her a raise or something because it was just insane to see her lift.

02:00:00 - 02:00:51 | Speaker 1:

and stuff and bringing it upstairs that truly was too heavy for me. And, of course, I said, Gina, we put that over here. This is Mojo in the Morning live. Mojo in the Morning. Hey, join us. 02:01:02 - 02:01:09 | Speaker 1:

So Jacqueline, let's do a little back story here So your husband owns a restaurant

02:01:09 - 02:01:12 | Speaker 2:

Yes, he does Outback and Canton

02:01:12 - 02:01:14 | Speaker 1:

My favorite is Outback, I love it

02:01:14 - 02:01:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah

02:01:15 - 02:01:20 | Speaker 1:

Get me a bloomin' onion and some toilet paper and I am all good

02:01:20 - 02:01:23 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, of course You'll definitely need that

02:01:23 - 02:01:29 | Speaker 5:

Now I imagine with owning a restaurant There's a lot of drama, a lot of babysitting. You always have staff issues going on.

02:01:30 - 02:01:31 | Speaker 2:

Oh, definitely.

02:01:31 - 02:01:53 | Speaker 1:

So we're going to do some kind of something with that, okay, with your husband. Your husband's name is Steven? Yes. All right, here we go. We're calling your mom up. You're going to tell her these lies. Lie number one in five lies tell your mom. You're going to say that Steven got into a fight. Is there somebody else that works there that we could have him say he got in a fight with?

02:01:53 - 02:01:55 | Speaker 2:

Yes, my cousin

02:01:55 - 02:01:57 | Speaker 1:

Oh, what's their name?

02:01:57 - 02:01:58 | Speaker 2:

Erica

02:01:58 - 02:02:04 | Speaker 1:

Oh, good Perfect Steven got into a fight with Erica Lie number two

02:02:04 - 02:02:06 | Speaker 5:

He told her she couldn't wear a belly shirt

02:02:06 - 02:02:17 | Speaker 1:

Lie number three She started throwing bread at him Lie number four

02:02:17 - 02:02:19 | Speaker 5:

Managers had to break it up

02:02:19 - 02:02:22 | Speaker 2:

And lie number five

02:02:22 - 02:02:26 | Speaker 1:

He got fired from Outback

02:02:26 - 02:02:32 | Speaker 5:

Alright Is this believable Like would the cousin cause some drama Because she's family

02:02:32 - 02:02:40 | Speaker 2:

Yes she would Exactly because she's family And they've actually gotten into it a few times So we always run to my mom and tell her Whenever it happens

02:02:40 - 02:03:05 | Speaker 1:

Is it okay for us to actually use the name of the company Or name the state place Yeah why not Okay I just want to make sure Because you know Sometimes people get a little crazy about that, but we're giving them a plug. This is five lies to tell your mom, and I will be there. I'll be there. Get a table ready for me after this is done. Here, we're calling your mom up. Don't say anything until she picks up and speak nice and loud. We're all listening.

02:03:05 - 02:03:06 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

02:03:15 - 02:03:18 | Speaker 4:

Hello. Hi. Hi.

02:03:19 - 02:03:21 | Speaker 2:

I'm freaking out right now.

02:03:21 - 02:03:22 | Speaker 3:

Because?

02:03:23 - 02:03:27 | Speaker 2:

Because Stephen and Erica got into another fight at work.

02:03:29 - 02:03:30 | Speaker 3:

Another?

02:03:31 - 02:03:34 | Speaker 2:

Another one because he told her that she couldn't wear a belly shirt.

02:03:37 - 02:03:40 | Speaker 4:

Okay. That's obvious.

02:03:41 - 02:03:47 | Speaker 2:

Right. And she freaked out and started throwing bread at him in the middle of the dining room.

02:03:48 - 02:03:58 | Speaker 4:

oh no gone gone that she starts throwing food and she's gone wait it gets worse no way yeah

02:03:58 - 02:04:21 | Speaker 2:

managers had to come out there and break it up who did the other managers had to stop them too you had to stop them because he started throwing it back at her okay a customer called corporate and he got fired he got fired because of erica

02:04:25 - 02:04:58 | Speaker 4:

erica said i don't know what to do on him because he told her she can't wear a belly shirt she picked up bread in the dining room and started throwing it at him and he threw it back at her and somebody called corporate and they fired me what do i do mom he needs to call down and apologize can you believe this no listen this girl had one foot out the door and what are we going to do this is our livelihood

02:05:00 - 02:05:17 | Speaker 3:

He has to have better patience than that. It's not his fault. It is for throwing back. He should have just said, you know what, you're fired, goodbye. It's her fault, not his fault. I'm ready to call and tell her off.

02:05:18 - 02:05:19 | Speaker 4:

What happened?

02:05:20 - 02:05:24 | Speaker 3:

This morning. Today, just now. They just opened, didn't they?

02:05:24 - 02:05:29 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Mom. What? How you doing? Okay.

02:05:30 - 02:05:32 | Speaker 2:

At least they threw bread and not a bloomin' onion.

02:05:33 - 02:05:34 | Speaker 1:

Or steak knives.

02:05:35 - 02:05:40 | Speaker 3:

Right. Who's that?

02:05:41 - 02:05:48 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I'm sorry. We didn't introduce ourselves. Mom, this is the Mojo in the Morning Show, and Jacqueline had you on Five Lies to Tell Your Mom.

02:05:50 - 02:06:03 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. You have her. And Michael about crying our eyes out, scared to death for our children

02:06:03 - 02:06:11 | Speaker 2:

Can you believe she would say that? Steve's fine, everybody's fine at the restaurant As far as we know, there was no food fight

02:06:11 - 02:06:24 | Speaker 1:

No food fight And by the way, Outback still has that, like, is it like pumpernickel bread? Or what is it? What is that? It's so good, you don't throw stuff like that, you eat it

02:06:24 - 02:06:28 | Speaker 3:

No, you don't do food. No, no, bad food. Come on now.

02:06:28 - 02:06:30 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you don't do that. You heifer.

02:06:31 - 02:06:32 | Speaker 3:

I like how you're called her heifer.

02:06:33 - 02:06:34 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

02:06:35 - 02:06:38 | Speaker 3:

Michael's about to call his niece to tell her off.

02:06:38 - 02:06:38 | Unknown:

Yeah.

02:06:39 - 02:06:41 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. I was hoping you were going to go there.

02:06:41 - 02:06:43 | Speaker 2:

Mom, it sounds like Erica's a handful, huh?

02:06:44 - 02:06:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. A little bit. A little bit.

02:06:47 - 02:06:52 | Speaker 1:

We had you on Five Lives Tell Your Mom, so we got to give you a prize. Congratulations to you, Mom.

02:06:53 - 02:06:53 | Speaker 3:

Thank you.

02:06:54 - 02:06:56 | Speaker 1:

We're going to set you up with something nice, all right?

02:06:57 - 02:06:58 | Speaker 3:

All right, thank you.

02:06:58 - 02:07:08 | Speaker 1:

You get a dinner out at the Outback Steakhouse, Canton, Michigan. Go in and say hi to Steve for us, everybody.

02:07:10 - 02:07:12 | Speaker 4:

It's Mojo in the morning. Five to me.

02:07:13 - 02:07:13 | Unknown:

Sweet.

02:07:14 - 02:07:22 | Speaker 4:

Five lies to tell your mom. Call the show now. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548.

02:07:23 - 02:08:58 | Speaker 1:

I just spent the last commercial break trying to get the official word on whether or not we can eat corned beef on Friday for St. Patrick's Day because Victor told me that his priest told him that you could. And now I know he's Catholic, but he also goes to the Catholic Albanian church. And I thought, well, I haven't heard anything official. So I called the Archdiocese of Detroit, and the official word, here's what the nice lady who answered the phone said to me. The official word is, it's up to your parish priest on whether or not you as a Catholic during Lent are allowed to eat meat this Friday since St. Patrick's Day falls on Friday. So since I am not the greatest of Catholics, I just send my kids to a Catholic school and pay a lot of money to do that. Can somebody call me and tell me what parish priests have said to you that you can eat meat? And then I'm going to claim them as my parish. So instead of going officially to my parish, because if I go, because if I officially go and if I officially say to the parish priest at Our Lady of Refuge, what's the word? Once he tells me you can't eat meat, like we're not giving you a dispensation, then I feel guilty if I try. So, you know, and I want corned beef on Friday. I really do. Yes, I love corned beef.

02:08:58 - 02:09:01 | Speaker 3:

It's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is for permission.

02:09:01 - 02:09:09 | Speaker 1:

I've learned that, and I've done that my entire life as a radio host. But this is, like, legit. Like, this is like talking to God, for God's sake.

02:09:09 - 02:09:31 | Speaker 2:

So, after the morning show broadcast on Friday, I'm doing an appearance and hanging out at the Vintage House in Frasier. And we're doing a live broadcast there from noon to four. The reason I said yes is, obviously, I never want the party to end on Friday. But also, they have the authentic, original O'Hara's corned beef, which is, like, legendary. Anybody on the east side knows that's the real deal.

02:09:31 - 02:09:35 | Speaker 1:

What's the parish in Frasier? Because whatever the parish is in Frasier, Michigan—

02:09:35 - 02:09:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, what is the Catholic Church over in East Point in Frasier that would have that?

02:09:38 - 02:09:41 | Speaker 1:

Because here's the thing. If that parish priest says, you know, you can't eat it.

02:09:41 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 2:

That's interesting to me because I guess they're just trying to empower the local priest to feel important to make a decision. Because won't the local priest just say, well, I've got to check with the boss and see what the official word is? You're not going to hear him, man. So is it really just up to the local priest to pray and talk to God about it?

02:10:00 - 02:10:04 | Speaker 1:

directly and then it's up to whether they're hungry on well i got a feeling that whoever

02:10:04 - 02:10:21 | Speaker 2:

the archdiocese uh the the cardinal i got a feeling that that particular person doesn't want god to be mad at him so he's like i'll let him be mad at my people uh hello mojo in the morning uh what parish do you belong to and are they allowing you to eat meat on friday

02:10:21 - 02:10:50 | Speaker 3:

i belong to saint mary's queen of creation in new baltimore yes and did your parish priest say that it was okay that you could eat here's the thing okay i'm a practicing catholic i go to in fact i just came from church um you you can eat meat on friday then mojo don't eat meat on thursday or don't eat meat on saturday wait is that what they're telling you they're telling you give it up on another day another day yeah yeah it's not nobody it doesn't say anywhere in the bible that you're going to hell because you ate meat on friday i understand that but you know

02:10:50 - 02:11:02 | Speaker 2:

what i think i'm going to hell anyway and if i have any kind of like leeway like where saint Peter says to me, well, you did at least obey, then I'll be okay. You know, there's a fine line on me.

02:11:03 - 02:11:09 | Speaker 3:

But I'm saying, if you don't eat meat on Thursday or pick Saturday, pick another day and then you've got it covered.

02:11:09 - 02:11:15 | Speaker 2:

Do you know how tired I am of cheese pizzas? I mean, come on. I agree. I agree.

02:11:15 - 02:11:19 | Speaker 3:

I don't eat meat on Friday all year, so I'm real sick of Friday.

02:11:19 - 02:11:23 | Speaker 2:

And you also go to church during the week, too. Will you pray for us when you go tomorrow?

02:11:24 - 02:11:24 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I will.

02:11:24 - 02:11:26 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. I appreciate you so much.

02:11:26 - 02:11:36 | Speaker 1:

I've never, in my whole life of St. Patrick's Day falling on Fridays, I've never known the priests to not let you, you know. They always do the dispensation because they know the Irish want to have fun.

02:11:36 - 02:11:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and they also probably want to go out to Hyde Park for a big juicy steak that night. What's going on, Phil?

02:11:42 - 02:11:45 | Speaker 4:

Hey, how you doing, Mojo? How are you guys?

02:11:45 - 02:11:48 | Speaker 2:

Doing fantastic, buddy. Any word from your parish priest?

02:11:49 - 02:12:12 | Speaker 4:

Well, actually, I'm very acquainted with our priest. He occasionally comes to my house, but I put that thing on the table last time he was over at our house last week, and I asked him, I said, most of the Catholics, you know, they celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Are they allowed to eat? He said, it's not about what you eat. It's about the things that you say and do in life.

02:12:12 - 02:12:13 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I'm in trouble.

02:12:15 - 02:12:19 | Speaker 4:

It's not about God. He's going to be mad at you to eat meat.

02:12:19 - 02:12:23 | Speaker 1:

Well, God doesn't want to see how we're going to behave on St. Patrick's Day either.

02:12:24 - 02:12:29 | Speaker 4:

Well, that's true, too. Every day, not only St. Patrick's Day, 365 days a week. That's right.

02:12:29 - 02:12:47 | Speaker 2:

Phil, you're like my dad. You know what my dad used to do? My dad used to invite our parish priest over, Monsignor Gorman, to come and have dinner. And I always believed that my dad did that because that was a way for him to get out of all the sins he committed during the week. Feed him a little bourbon and let him have some fun.

02:12:48 - 02:12:53 | Speaker 4:

Like the other caller said, Thursday and Saturday, don't eat meat. That'll make up the difference if you want.

02:12:54 - 02:12:56 | Speaker 2:

Thanks, Phil. What's your parish? What parish do you call home?

02:12:56 - 02:12:57 | Speaker 4:

Mother of God.

02:12:57 - 02:13:00 | Speaker 2:

I love Mother. Yes. Mother of God.

02:13:00 - 02:13:06 | Speaker 4:

Hello to my Chaldean friends. Thank you so much for everything you guys do. We love you.

02:13:06 - 02:13:08 | Speaker 2:

Take care. We'll see you. What's up, Pilar?

02:13:09 - 02:13:10 | Speaker 5:

Yes.

02:13:10 - 02:13:11 | Speaker 2:

How you doing?

02:13:11 - 02:13:12 | Speaker 5:

Good. How are you?

02:13:12 - 02:13:17 | Speaker 2:

Good. I'm, like, literally tasting corned beef, cabbage, and those boiled potatoes.

02:13:17 - 02:13:30 | Speaker 5:

Cabbage. Yes. So there's a certain word, but we've been, my parish in St. Pius in Southgate, and we're able to serve the corned beef and cabbage along with our fish fry, normal.

02:13:31 - 02:13:36 | Speaker 2:

Ha, there you go, the fish fry. Did you ever notice that churches during Lent always have fish fries? They're fantastic.

02:13:37 - 02:13:37 | Speaker 5:

Yep. Yes.

02:13:38 - 02:13:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, okay.

02:13:39 - 02:13:45 | Speaker 5:

Sometimes the KFC is fish fry. And then this Friday, we're going to have face painting and balloons for kids.

02:13:45 - 02:13:50 | Speaker 2:

See that? I just gave you an opportunity to plug it on the air. Exactly. So God's got to be good to me.

02:13:50 - 02:13:51 | Speaker 5:

Take highest and south gate, right?

02:13:51 - 02:13:55 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. Appreciate you for calling. Take care of yourself.

02:13:56 - 02:13:56 | Speaker 5:

Bye. You too.

02:13:57 - 02:14:02 | Speaker 2:

All right. We'll see you. The one thing about being a Catholic is you've got a lot of guilt. There's a ton of it, right?

02:14:03 - 02:14:07 | Speaker 1:

It's not most organized religion. All right.

02:14:07 - 02:14:43 | Speaker 2:

So this Friday, when Kennedy's Irish Pub pulls out the corned beef, I am going to have a little taste or two. Make sure you join us. And then on Saturday, wait till you see all the sins we commit on Irish on Ionia. It's going to be a fun day. All right. It's Mojo in the morning show. So I want to call out my son, Joe, and I'm going to call him out for something right now that drives me crazy. I got a chance to drive in his brand new red, iHeart red Chevy Blazer that he bought from Gordon Chevrolet.

02:14:43 - 02:14:43 | Speaker 5:

Red?

02:14:44 - 02:14:55 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, he got a red one. It's honest. Can I be honest? I thought it was going to look douchey. It's really cool. I really worried about it. I was like, oh, God. I told Mona. I said, Mona, don't sell him that.

02:14:56 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 5:

He wanted red or was that what they gave him? No, he wanted red. He wanted red.

02:15:00 - 02:15:46 | Speaker 2:

He saw a red one, and he thought it looked really, really cool. And I'm one of those people. Every car I own is black. I buy black cars. So this one's red. It's gorgeous. And the Blazer is fantastic. It makes me almost want my lease to be up on my Tahoe so that I can do that because it was really cool to see all the room that it had inside. So long story short, it's me, Joe, Jed, Tony Travato, and Tony's son, Christopher. And we're driving to the game. And as we're driving to the game, Tony Travato pulls out, like, a bag of snacks, and I have a bottle of water, and I get ready to go drink it, and, you know, Tony gets ready to eat some of his snacks. Joe stops the car and says, there's no eating or drinking in my car.

02:15:46 - 02:15:48 | Speaker 3:

No, I hate people like that. Really?

02:15:49 - 02:16:17 | Speaker 2:

He's got car rules. I don't know. And this is funny because this is the same guy that as a kid has eaten more McDonald's in my car. I probably still have French fries still underneath my seats and threw up in a brand new lease that I had in my car. And you never throw up in a lease you're about to turn in. You throw up in the three-year lease that you have the month that you get the car, and I could never get the smell out of the damn thing.

02:16:17 - 02:16:34 | Speaker 4:

Well, this is a life milestone, right? When somebody in their 20s finally can afford with a job to get their own first brand new car, you finally have the respect for property that your parents tried to instill upon you for decades because now you realize how much money it costs you want to take care of.

02:16:34 - 02:16:40 | Speaker 2:

Are you a person, because you're a very clean person, but do you let people drink or eat in your Kia?

02:16:40 - 02:17:00 | Speaker 4:

They can until they violate some sort of, if they really mess it up, then they lose the privilege, but I'll let them up front. But when I see what my daughters do to their cars, it drives me crazy. Yeah. It looks like they live in their car. I was going to say, you could come eat a meal off the floor of my car right now. You'd find enough crap from the kids to have a full lunch.

02:17:01 - 02:17:08 | Speaker 3:

I'd be too scared to eat in your car, Spike. Your car is way clean. It's pristine. Oh, yeah. Yeah. One of the cleanest cars I've ever seen.

02:17:08 - 02:17:18 | Speaker 4:

I'm OCD about keeping it clean, but I don't mind if you eat in it unless you're spilling stuff into the seats because they have the little perforated dots for the heated seats like even if

02:17:18 - 02:17:21 | Speaker 3:

i ate in there and i dropped the fry and i couldn't find the fry that fry is gone i'm never telling

02:17:21 - 02:17:35 | Speaker 2:

you i would never tell you that i dropped the fry when he drove you to lunch and you guys remember that whole incident where you guys went to the wrong place i don't remember i do did you just sit there and look around his car thinking to yourself i can't even get a fingerprint on like

02:17:35 - 02:17:40 | Speaker 4:

the handle i don't have toddlers like i'm in a different place than i i expect mike and shannon

02:17:40 - 02:17:46 | Speaker 3:

to have messy cars yeah so it was very clean it was i was very impressed i like keeping it that

02:17:46 - 02:18:16 | Speaker 4:

way but i don't mind i one time i spilled starbucks in the seat of my car i went to get the whole show starbucks i took a turn too fast a whole venti latte went into the seat and for the next four years whenever you turn the seat warmer on it cooked sour milk and the sour milk smelled for years and i couldn't i paid so much money for some a detailer to like try and take the seat apart to clean it and it just can't be clean so that's why i get a little antsy about it

02:18:16 - 02:18:40 | Speaker 2:

you got to call us up if you have car rules do you have rules about what people can do and can't do in your car uh 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 my son joe is actually at disney world right now they're doing a promo where they just got a chance to ride the brand new tron ride wait what Yeah. I hate that. The radio stations in Florida got a chance to do it. He's probably on it.

02:18:40 - 02:18:42 | Speaker 3:

He's not going to answer your phone call. Who are you kidding?

02:18:42 - 02:18:46 | Speaker 2:

You think he's on a ride right now? Yes. Should I call Jed and Ashley and see if they answer my phone?

02:18:47 - 02:18:49 | Speaker 4:

One of those amazing buffets having a Mickey waffle right now.

02:18:50 - 02:18:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Oh. They put them. See, we never get these trips because J Towers gets them. They put them up in a nice hotel. Are you sleeping?

02:18:58 - 02:19:05 | Speaker 4:

I'm just rolling out of bed. Wait a second. They were having Mickey cocktails last night. I saw them out late having cocktails.

02:19:05 - 02:19:07 | Speaker 2:

You guys didn't do a live show this morning from Disney?

02:19:08 - 02:19:11 | Speaker 1:

No, they wouldn't let us. It was all full.

02:19:11 - 02:19:14 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really? So, wait, is Joe right there with you?

02:19:15 - 02:19:16 | Speaker 1:

No, Joe's in the shower. Why?

02:19:17 - 02:19:34 | Speaker 2:

Can you walk into the shower right now? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Can you go in the shower, Jed? We're live on the radio, and I want to talk about, and you'll actually probably agree with this, Joe doesn't let us eat or drink in his car, and is that not the most annoying thing ever? That car is not that good that he has to have a rule like that.

02:19:35 - 02:19:38 | Speaker 1:

I agree. Hold on. Let me see if I can try to sneak in the shower here.

02:19:38 - 02:19:40 | Speaker 2:

Have you ever seen my son's penis?

02:19:40 - 02:19:49 | Speaker 1:

Of course. I used to shower with him and he washed me in the shower in high school. Oh, okay. He used to wash you in the shower. We're on the radio right now. Look at that.

02:19:52 - 02:20:00 | Speaker 3:

He's really in the shower. No, I'm more concerned about you, him washing you. No, he said no. I don't care about the...

02:20:00 - 02:20:06 | Speaker 6:

Joe, is it awkward to have Jed watching you naked shower?

02:20:07 - 02:20:09 | Speaker 5:

Not when he's naked.

02:20:12 - 02:20:25 | Speaker 6:

Joe, I'm telling our listeners and Spike, Shannon, Megan, and Mike, I'm telling them about how you won't let us eat or drink in your Chevy Blazer, your I Heart Red Chevy Blazer, and how annoying that is that you have these car rules.

02:20:26 - 02:20:36 | Speaker 5:

I can't have it happen. And by the way, Ashley and Jed were asking, too. It's the worst. There's no one that is allowed to besides Mona Saad from Gordon Chevrolet.

02:20:36 - 02:20:38 | Speaker 6:

She's the only one because she gave you a good deal.

02:20:38 - 02:20:53 | Speaker 5:

Why are you so uptight? It's not uptight. It's just there's nothing better than a clean car. And it will only be clean for probably another week. And then it will be, you know, ruined by my funk. So I need it cleaned.

02:20:53 - 02:20:58 | Speaker 6:

Ruined by your – did you say – what did you say? Funk. I thought he swore there for a second. Wait.

02:20:59 - 02:21:03 | Speaker 3:

What if your girlfriend wants to start sexy time in the car? Are you going to allow that?

02:21:05 - 02:21:06 | Speaker 5:

All right. Then I'd eat it in the car.

02:21:10 - 02:21:17 | Speaker 6:

Hold on. Hey, wait, real quick. While we're talking, let's check in with Jed. Jed, are you still there?

02:21:18 - 02:21:21 | Speaker 5:

Yes. He's still standing there.

02:21:21 - 02:21:22 | Speaker 6:

Washing his back?

02:21:22 - 02:21:32 | Speaker 2:

Nobody's answered my question yet And I really need I need the answer of why Joe had to Wash you in high school

02:21:32 - 02:21:34 | Speaker 6:

Jed said that before we went

02:21:34 - 02:21:38 | Speaker 2:

I just woke up He never washed me in the shower

02:21:38 - 02:21:41 | Speaker 5:

Shannon you know better You said that

02:21:41 - 02:21:45 | Speaker 2:

He's gaslighting you You said that

02:21:45 - 02:21:48 | Speaker 6:

Joe did you ever wash each other At Notre Dame Prep

02:21:48 - 02:21:51 | Speaker 5:

Of course

02:21:51 - 02:21:57 | Speaker 6:

All right, how are the showers at Disney World?

02:21:59 - 02:22:02 | Speaker 5:

Why ask me when you can ask Jed? They're spacious.

02:22:07 - 02:22:17 | Speaker 6:

Their phones showered. Hey, Joe and Jed, you guys are naked right now, hanging out.

02:22:17 - 02:22:18 | Speaker 3:

Together.

02:22:18 - 02:22:20 | Speaker 6:

Together. What do you want to do?

02:22:20 - 02:22:21 | Speaker 3:

Your best friend before

02:22:21 - 02:22:35 | Speaker 6:

Oh god Alright we'll talk to you guys later I love you guys Follow the Joe show What is it live with Joe show is that right You can actually see all the Disney stuff that you're doing

02:22:35 - 02:22:48 | Speaker 3:

Well I don't know if I want to see What the Disney stuff they're doing Because now I'm realizing when they talked about having a great ride Last night were they talking about the tron Mojo in the mornings Dirty on the 30

02:22:48 - 02:22:51 | Speaker 6:

All right, Shannon, what you got out in This Hour is Dirty on the 30th?

02:22:51 - 02:24:16 | Speaker 1:

So I want to update you on what's going on with this Alec Baldwin case down in New Mexico. The special prosecutor in the Rust manslaughter case against Alec stepped down yesterday after Alec's attorneys argued that she should be disqualified from the trial because she's also a Republican legislator in New Mexico. So this is one little win in his column and a major setback in the state's case against him. Now, this special prosecutor's name is Andrea Reeb. And she said, my priority in this case has been justice for the victim. However, it has become clear that the best way I can ensure justice is served in this case is to step down so that the prosecution can focus on the evidence and the facts, which clearly show a complete disregard for basic safety protocols that led to the death of Helena Hutchins. Again, Alec Baldwin facing two counts of involuntary manslaughter here, both of which carry an 18-month prison sentence. The brothers who were paid by Jussie Smollett, the Empire actor. Jussie Smollett, he's a very French, very famous French actor. I literally forget how to say his name normally now because I just think about that every time I want to say his name. But remember, these brothers were paid $3,500 to carry out that staged attack on the streets of Chicago as a hate crime. I mean, this was years ago now, 2019. Well, the Osindaro brothers are breaking their silence in a new interview for Fox Nation.

02:24:16 - 02:24:44 | Speaker 4:

I thought he was a good actor, but I also was thinking that this guy's a fraud. This guy's really sitting here just lying to these people, lying through his teeth, and not caring. I think he shed a tear. And I want a little gay boy who might watch this to see that I fought back. This dude crazy, man. He shot a tear, man. This dude, wow.

02:24:44 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 1:

I mean, they are spilling all of the details. Again, that little snippet is part of a five-part docuseries for Fox Nation. Charity Lawson has been cast as ABC's newest leading lady for The Bachelorette Season 20.

02:25:00 - 02:25:12 | Speaker 2:

Which is going to air this summer. That announcement made on last night's episode of The Bachelor Women Tell All. Actually, she was surprised when the host, Jessie Palmer, shared that news. She was part of Bachelor Zach's Final Four.

02:25:12 - 02:25:18 | Speaker 1:

How was Jessie Palmer hosting the show? Because I always loved Jessie Palmer. He was the Bachelor. Yeah.

02:25:18 - 02:25:24 | Speaker 2:

I love him, too. I mean, a lot of people, a lot of Bachelor OGs want Chris Harrison back. But I think Jessie Palmer's fine.

02:25:24 - 02:25:26 | Speaker 1:

He does a great job on ESPN doing college football, too.

02:25:26 - 02:25:48 | Speaker 2:

And actress and wellness guru, Gwyneth Paltrow, is being dragged by TikTok for her quote-unquote out-of-touch daily wellness routines. So the video that people are ripping her for, she's getting an IV in the video, but she talks about her love for bone broth, Pilates, dry brushes in the sauna, vegetable heavy dinners.

02:25:49 - 02:25:53 | Speaker 5:

What's the weirdest wellness thing that you've done?

02:25:53 - 02:26:04 | Speaker 4:

I have used ozone therapy rectally. I didn't know this about you. It's pretty weird.

02:26:04 - 02:26:06 | Speaker 1:

It's pretty weird. Yeah.

02:26:06 - 02:26:09 | Speaker 2:

But it's been very helpful. Ozone therapy.

02:26:09 - 02:26:11 | Speaker 1:

I don't even want to know what that involves.

02:26:11 - 02:26:25 | Speaker 3:

Gwyneth Paltrow is growing on my list of problematic celebrities. And in this interview, she said that she eats coffee for breakfast. She eats bone broth for lunch. and then will sometimes have vegetables for dinner.

02:26:25 - 02:26:26 | Speaker 2:

Vegetable heavy.

02:26:28 - 02:26:34 | Speaker 3:

That's not food, babe. That's not what you tell people to eat. That's disorder.

02:26:35 - 02:26:51 | Speaker 2:

That's what a lot of people are saying. It's almost like she's promoting disordered eating by saying all of these things that allow her to live this very, extremely healthy lifestyle. Healthy in quotation marks? Right. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on the In The Morning Tag.

02:26:52 - 02:26:56 | Speaker 3:

morning mojo in the morning's dirt and another phone scam coming up in minutes

02:26:56 - 02:27:17 | Speaker 1:

you're not riding dirty if you're in one of these cars uh people who have car rules here on the mojo in the morning show uh sally you're like my son you have rules you cannot

02:27:17 - 02:27:41 | Speaker 4:

do certain things in your car yeah good morning everybody morning i had a 16 camaro which was black on black on black it was a beautiful car and i would not buy fast food there would be no fast food even just the smell i didn't want the smell in the car it still had that little plastic that covered the the touch screen still had the airbag sticker and when i sold the car

02:27:41 - 02:27:53 | Speaker 1:

02:27:53 - 02:27:55 | Speaker 4:

couch. That's the first thing I was thinking.

02:27:56 - 02:27:57 | Speaker 1:

But I always wonder

02:27:57 - 02:28:01 | Speaker 4:

I'm a Jeep Wrangler now and it's you know, balls to the wall.

02:28:01 - 02:28:15 | Speaker 1:

Who are the people that drive around with the actual you know, how in the car, like on the dashboard, there's always that little thing sticking down that tells you about the glove compartment. Who are the people that still keep that? Like I always rip that thing off right away as soon as I get the car.

02:28:15 - 02:28:18 | Speaker 3:

And she is a Wrangler, so do I. And the springtime. It was in mine.

02:28:19 - 02:28:21 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. In springtime, you kind of

02:28:21 - 02:28:23 | Speaker 3:

like... You just take the top off and you let it

02:28:23 - 02:28:26 | Speaker 1:

all... She doesn't. You don't... There's no way you take the top off on that thing.

02:28:27 - 02:28:35 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no. I sure do now. The Camaro, no. That was completely different. Jeep. This Jeep is just incredibly fun and, yeah. Love the top off. Jeep hair. Don't care.

02:28:35 - 02:28:38 | Speaker 1:

I would love to buy your car when you trade it in because I bet you it's

02:28:38 - 02:28:47 | Speaker 4:

like... Oh, I did. I ended up getting, like, an extreme price for it. That's why I got my Jeep. I got, like, a killer price for my Camaro.

02:28:47 - 02:28:58 | Speaker 1:

Thanks for the call Emily hi it's Mojo in the morning show We're talking about rules that people Have in their cars You're like interesting with two Rules right

02:28:58 - 02:29:32 | Speaker 5:

Yeah hi good morning guys I do have two rules my number One rule and this is actually A bigger problem than you might think is Spitting out of my window I do not like that at all And yes and If you had I don't mind eating in my car but if you bring something like trash that you leave in my car you can't bring stuff in my car anymore. I have designated trash cans in my car so if you have food containers that you leave in my car, I hate that.

02:29:33 - 02:29:38 | Speaker 1:

First off, spitting out the car window. You won't let somebody if they have to...

02:29:38 - 02:29:52 | Speaker 5:

It's going to come back in the car window. Yes, my boyfriend does it. God love him but I Or, like, if I just get a fresh wash in my car and it goes to spit out and it sticks, like, it's like, dude, it's the side of my car.

02:29:52 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. That's wild. What about people with their shoes on? I actually knew somebody that used to make you take your shoes off.

02:30:00 - 02:30:05 | Speaker 4:

when you got into the car what yeah that is the weirdest thing ever they would they would ask you

02:30:05 - 02:30:41 | Speaker 3:

to take your shoes off and take them and put them upside down so that the bottom of the soles would not actually touch their their car but they had a really nice car they had like a classic uh corvette that honestly i could barely fit into the thing i remember getting into the car it was a class it was so first off somebody asked me one time they said would you ever buy you know like a sports car stuff i'm six foot three 280 pounds does a man my size ever get to fit into one of those sports cars my sports car is a semi-truck you know uh but but these people that get all worked up about

02:30:41 - 02:31:02 | Speaker 5:

their cars are funny johnny are you there yeah what's up what's going on hey i got a limo Now, the problem is You get in the car You don't drink, you don't smoke You don't eat, you keep your mouth shut I take you to point A And point B, and that's it

02:31:02 - 02:31:08 | Speaker 3:

Wait, what kind of limo service do you run? I would never want to call you a limo service Aren't you supposed to have fun and drink in those things?

02:31:09 - 02:31:13 | Speaker 5:

I know I'm just screwing with y'all, man Which limo service?

02:31:13 - 02:31:15 | Speaker 6:

She's calling for the plug

02:31:15 - 02:31:21 | Speaker 5:

No, seriously Honestly, I let my people have a lot of fun.

02:31:21 - 02:31:21 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God.

02:31:22 - 02:31:26 | Speaker 5:

That's all I do. I let everybody have fun. I mean, you've got to clean it up anyways.

02:31:26 - 02:31:37 | Speaker 3:

I feel bad. I will tell you this. Larry from Top Notch Limousines, I feel bad for the stuff that I've done in the back of those limousines for Top Notch. Ramones and those guys, Lori, everybody, those are nice people.

02:31:37 - 02:31:40 | Speaker 6:

Try not to make a mess. You still always end up making a mess because you're always drinking all night.

02:31:41 - 02:31:42 | Speaker 3:

What's going on, Hassan?

02:31:43 - 02:31:44 | Speaker 6:

How's it going, guys? Good.

02:31:44 - 02:31:47 | Speaker 3:

Good. We're talking about rules that people have in their cars.

02:31:48 - 02:31:57 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, my mom, she drives a new Tahoe, and I'm telling you, like, the rules are so strict, it's about to the point where my mom's about to start having us take our shoes off before we get in the car.

02:31:57 - 02:31:58 | Speaker 6:

She's that bad, huh?

02:31:59 - 02:32:13 | Speaker 7:

It's that bad. I'm telling you. One dust, I opened up a water bottle once, and she made me do it out the window. Just water. Just water, exactly. I told her, I'm like, you washed the inside of your car anyways.

02:32:14 - 02:32:20 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Do you ever wonder about moms? How are moms big enough to be able to smack you in the backseat of a car?

02:32:20 - 02:32:27 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my mom was so skilled. She could hit all three of us with one swoop. I still cannot figure out how she did it.

02:32:28 - 02:32:32 | Speaker 7:

I'm no small person. I'm 6'5", and my mom was still not afraid to smack me upside down. Yeah.

02:32:33 - 02:32:46 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, absolutely. 734 sent in a great text, and I agree with this. If you're going to get in my car, you cannot change the spot that the seat or the steering wheel is placed. See, you have to with mine. Don't be adjusting all that. You have to.

02:32:46 - 02:32:47 | Speaker 4:

I'm only five feet tall.

02:32:47 - 02:32:54 | Speaker 6:

Well, now with my Kia, you can have the driver program. But before that, I would get so annoyed if someone borrowed my car and moved my seats.

02:32:54 - 02:32:58 | Speaker 3:

What do you do when somebody gets in your car and they change their temperature on their side?

02:32:58 - 02:33:10 | Speaker 6:

It drives me crazy, too. I put on sync, and then any girl in my car, my daughters, my girlfriend, they all change the temperature. And I go, it doesn't, you know, we're all in the same, it's all the same little square air.

02:33:11 - 02:33:27 | Speaker 2:

So I got a Kia, too, and that's how I figure out if my wife is mad at me. If we're synced and our weather or our temperature is synced in the car, then everything's cool because she's very go-with-the-flow. But if she switches it and she cranks it really hot or really low, then I'm like, uh-oh. That is so inaccurate.

02:33:28 - 02:33:34 | Speaker 6:

I'm just trying to tell her, like, it doesn't matter if you put up the 92, if mine's at 67, it's all a law of averages.

02:33:34 - 02:33:40 | Speaker 3:

It's what's blowing on you. Exactly. We're going to take a break. We'll be right back with more Mojo in the Morning next.

02:33:40 - 02:33:45 | Speaker 1:

This is the phone scam station, which means you'll have a reason to laugh this morning at 9.50 on Mojo in the Morning.

02:33:51 - 02:34:58 | Speaker 3:

Win tickets now to see the Red Wings take on the Colorado Avalanche Saturday night. I was going to say Monday night. No, if I do that, you missed the game. I'm screwed. It's Mojo in the Morning college night with the Red Wings. They are going to be celebrating Northern Michigan University. They've been doing this really cool thing all season long where they are doing a little shout out to all the local schools, not just the big ones, too. So Northern Michigan University, college night, Saturday against the Colorado Avs. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 95th caller, is going to win tickets right now. Good luck. Oh, yeah, March Madness. It's March Madness for college basketball. And a lot of offices, including where Jeremy works, are doing those unofficial pools where you can make money off of filling out brackets, you know, and trying to get the perfect bracket.

02:34:58 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 6:

Where I can lose money.

02:35:00 - 02:35:06 | Speaker 2:

ever make money well you're gonna bust him for doing a legal bracket is that right a little pool

02:35:06 - 02:35:17 | Speaker 1:

in this phone scam they gave me the all the info about him setting it up at the work so i'm gonna call and bust him for illegal gambling it's a mojo in the morning phone scam we will we will

02:35:17 - 02:35:24 | Speaker 4:

scam you sorry it's a catchy song it's your home with phone scams mojo in the morning

02:35:24 - 02:35:38 | Speaker 1:

hello hey how's it going man is this jeremy yes sir hey glad i got a hold of you i'm calling about the march madness brackets are you the uh are you the guy that's taking the money in the

02:35:38 - 02:36:01 | Speaker 3:

office yes i am it's gonna be a big pool this year man oh yeah like what are you thinking so we got we got max payouts going first place 70 percent of it second place getting 10 and then And the House, oh, we're actually giving 10% to third place as well. That's right. Nice. And then we're going to divide it up 10% for the House.

02:36:01 - 02:36:41 | Speaker 1:

Can I still get in on it? Yeah, man. Sticky Bucks and Squared. Oh, sweet. Yeah, yeah. Who is this again? Mr. F***, this is Detective Robert Blocks from the FBI in Washington, D.C., Gambling Compliance Division. We're contacting the authors of some online illegal activity. And, sir, we need about three minutes of your time to talk about this bracket. i i don't understand what is this well sir you just confirmed to me that you're the facilitator of your office pool for the quote-unquote big dance but uh we didn't need your confirmation we actually already have printouts of your transactions and brackets from yahoo and cbs sports line and i'm calling to inform you that you're in violation of a 1992 federal law

02:36:41 - 02:36:49 | Speaker 3:

which prohibits sports betting uh i mean i'm just doing what everyone else is doing i don't

02:36:49 - 02:36:52 | Speaker 1:

What do you mean, everybody's not breaking the law?

02:36:53 - 02:36:55 | Speaker 3:

I don't know what to say.

02:36:56 - 02:36:59 | Speaker 1:

Everyone drives 85 on their way home from work. Does that make it fine and legal?

02:37:00 - 02:37:05 | Speaker 3:

But there's been brackets and squares in this office every year since I started working here.

02:37:05 - 02:37:07 | Speaker 1:

Really? Did you work there in 1961?

02:37:08 - 02:37:08 | Speaker 3:

No.

02:37:09 - 02:37:27 | Speaker 1:

Because that's when they passed the Interstate Wire Act, making it illegal to communicate sports wagers over the wires, a rule the Department of Justice has deemed to include the Internet. And then there is the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act, which makes it illegal to accept payments related to gambling. I'm assuming you don't run a legally licensed casino in the state, do you?

02:37:28 - 02:37:29 | Speaker 3:

No, no, I don't.

02:37:29 - 02:37:36 | Speaker 1:

So there's not a lot of big gray area here, you understand? I suppose the only question remains is whether you will choose to pay the fine or do the time.

02:37:37 - 02:37:38 | Speaker 3:

Wait a minute, who do you say you're from?

02:37:38 - 02:38:17 | Speaker 1:

My name is Officer Robert Blocks, and we're going to have to schedule an interview to come in and talk to you. I'm not asking you to make a decision now, sir. I'm merely calling to confirm your current mailing address where we can send your bench warrant and notice to appear. Are you serious right now? I'm very serious, sir. And I love how people think the FBI is too busy to chase down the cubicle dwellers for dropping a 10 spot on UCLA. When you add it all up, there's over $2 billion in NCAA gambling going on this week in offices nationwide. And that's not something we can ignore. Now, your amount is in the thousands, as you just admitted to me on the phone, which could land you in jail. but more likely you could avoid that and just pay a fine of about $1,200.

02:38:18 - 02:38:22 | Speaker 3:

I've never heard of such things, so I'm going to have to talk to my lawyer.

02:38:23 - 02:38:33 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you will have to talk to a lawyer for sure, and I'm sure it's not your company's policy to allow illegal March Madness office pools for money, and that's why my next call is to your corporate management.

02:38:34 - 02:38:35 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh.

02:38:35 - 02:39:07 | Speaker 1:

And you also didn't claim last year's gambling winnings on a Schedule A tax form? and also who'd you pick to go to the final for? I'm looking at this bracket. What the hell is wrong with you? This is Spike from the Mojo on the Morning Show. You deliver a crate of Cool Ranch Doritos, Locos, Tacos to this office and I'll see if I can make your charges disappear. You just been phone scammed from the Mojo on the Morning Show. Oh my God. Well, you're busted twice. You're busted with the phone scam and then you're going to be busted with these

02:39:07 - 02:39:30 | Speaker 4:

02:40:06 - 02:40:09 | Speaker 2:

02:40:09 - 02:40:12 | Speaker 3:

02:40:14 - 02:40:15 | Speaker 3:

All right. Thank you.

02:40:15 - 02:40:22 | Speaker 2:

I'm a St. RP, and I lost my leg. Climbing up the top sails, I lost my leg.

02:40:23 - 02:40:38 | Speaker 3:

Spike, you are going to be out after we do our morning broadcast. and the nice people who own the bar that you're going to be at are in studio with us this morning. We've got Anthony and Liz from the Vintage House in studio with us today.

02:40:38 - 02:41:09 | Speaker 1:

I love this because it's been such a tradition in Metro Detroit to go day drinking for St. Patrick's Day. And there's a lot of people that are asking me, like, I really want to come to the morning show broadcast, but I've got to get the kids off to school first. Where can I go afterwards? Are you guys still going to be there? So what I'm doing is throwing the party after the party I'm going to, you know, after the morning show broadcast, get over to the east side, get over to Frazier, to the Vinci's house, where I'm going to be from noon until they kick me out. I love that you paused. Like, it's very much a question. Yes, yeah.

02:41:09 - 02:41:14 | Speaker 3:

Now, Channel 955 is going to be there after our broadcast directly, right? Sean Streif will be there?

02:41:14 - 02:41:23 | Speaker 1:

Yep, Sean Streif will be broadcasting live. I said, I want no part of a live microphone. I'm just going to host the party where I can't get any FCC fines for being on the microphone.

02:41:23 - 02:41:36 | Speaker 3:

Anthony, please tell me that you'll make him behave himself Because the next mornings afterwards We always have Spike with no voice And I worry about him

02:41:36 - 02:41:50 | Speaker 4:

You know, I remember those when he's downtown For the opening day parties and stuff like that Oh, yeah But, yeah, we'll make sure he's in line We have, you know, a great security team And if I have to call on one of them on the two-way Well, we'll hide Spike in the office

02:41:50 - 02:42:01 | Speaker 1:

I'm bringing a designated driver, which is Meg, my girlfriend And then my designated driver's bringing in designated driver, her dad, that bring us all home. So we can all get home safely and start again the next morning in Grand Rapids.

02:42:01 - 02:42:07 | Speaker 3:

Talk about this tradition of the vintage house because Spike was bringing up the corned beef that you guys will be selling there.

02:42:08 - 02:43:08 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it's a specialty cut from Grobels. Grobels is one of our key sponsors. As I mentioned to you earlier, the whole family recipe is my children's grandmother and her sisters and siblings. uh it's a it's a 92 year old family recipe the bar o'hara's was was on the east side it was a staple if you wanted a great corned beef sandwich or or boiled dinner on st patrick's day but you could also go there seven days a week uh we are you know in 2008 we went on a whim when the bar was closed and we decided to have a party and i brought the family in and talked about it they said yeah you know you know the recipe go ahead and do it well this party now has turned into a monstrosity like i told you guys earlier you can't stop it you know and covid was the only they had stopped it for two years yeah and you know we were going to have you guys out in 2020 and yeah last year the party was back but you know what it was down a little bit just because the whole still covid was a big thing yeah and uh now i mean being on a friday you couldn't create

02:43:08 - 02:43:23 | Speaker 1:

a better perfect storm in a sense and i agree yeah my gosh and i love that you know it's gonna be warm it's gonna be like in the 50s on friday and even though there's a small chance of rain we have three tents and a banquet hall so everybody's covered it's the perfect place

02:43:23 - 02:43:52 | Speaker 4:

to go no matter what kind of way it is with with several banquet rooms along with the tents outside we have different you know a little bit of everything for everybody we got rock and roll bands you got the djs you know you got you got other irish bands you got bagpipers it's just going to be a non-stop wow you know and not to mention we're doing which is really cool and unique is if you don't want to come into the party and you want our corned beef we have a drive-through curbside oh i love you yeah okay that's great because everyone on the it's so

02:43:52 - 02:44:11 | Speaker 1:

funny because yesterday at this time we're talking about baker square picking up the you know now you can get the famous dave's for the old french silk pie recipe same thing where like o'hara's pub closed but everybody on the east side knew that corned beef recipe and now the fact that it lives on and has gained a whole new life with this big party and throughout the

02:44:11 - 02:44:27 | Speaker 4:

year it's awesome so yeah yep and we're actually selling corned beef sandwiches from 11 to 6 right now up until the event. Oh, man. Just during the week to get people to get their fix on. And we only do this once a year. So it's the only time we're cooking. And we're going through 5,500 pounds of corned beef. We've been cooking corned beef for 10 straight days, 24 hours

02:44:27 - 02:44:37 | Speaker 3:

a day. The chef's in the kitchen. Wow. Vintage house. Make sure that you get out there. Where exactly is it? What town is it in? It's in Frazier on Utica Road between Masonic and Grosbeck. Oh, man.

02:44:37 - 02:44:52 | Speaker 1:

Come hang out. And get there before me. If you get there before noon, there's free parking and no cover. So you You don't have to pay cover if you get in there. By the time I get there, they're going to start charging because I'm very expensive if you want to say hi to me now. It's going to be fun drinking with everybody.

02:44:52 - 02:45:10 | Speaker 3:

All right, so we were talking about this off the air, and maybe Anthony can help us with this. We were talking about the craziest place you've seen somebody throw up or you've had to. had to throw up um does it get a little rowdy at vintage house like do you see people like throw up in in odd places after they leave your your establishment uh i've had a situation it's usually

02:45:10 - 02:45:37 | Speaker 2:

the ladies that get a little out of control oh really um we had a late a girl lock herself in one of the uh the bathroom stalls oh no back and it was on a saturday when it last time i fell on a saturday it was like 2016 or 17 it was a 70 degree day and she locked herself in the stall and she just couldn't stop throwing up in the stall. Oh, man. We had to shut the bathroom down, bring in security. And it's like she could have chose a port-a-john to go do that versus one of the inside restrooms that we have.

02:45:38 - 02:45:42 | Speaker 3:

But just so you know, you're sitting across the table from a woman who throws up in purses.

02:45:43 - 02:45:54 | Speaker 1:

Don't look at me. That's me. I'm way of recovering, okay? It's been a while. I'm due. I'm due. I don't like that he first looked at me like this. Hide your purse this weekend.

02:45:54 - 02:46:12 | Speaker 3:

yeah i don't know if it was a louis i wouldn't be throwing up in a louis no no that there i'd throw up on whoever i could after that um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 uh where's the craziest place strangest place you've ever thrown up to prepare for saint patrick's day i witnessed one

02:46:12 - 02:46:35 | Speaker 1:

saint patrick's day i was going out with my buddies and i remember we were walking out of the bar and watching a guy we did like step around a guy who was puking well he was puking on a police car they were like the car is just kind of pulled out front kind of just chilling hanging out watching all the action and this guy and the the officer was out of the car he was standing at the front door talking to the bouncer and there's a guy leaning on the hood of the car

02:46:35 - 02:47:28 | Speaker 3:

puking on the police what do you get when that happens like you got to get some kind of ride but it's not home yeah amazing um friday uh saint patrick's day uh i know that you guys you know love all your people that are in the same business as you so earlier in the day we're going to be at kennedy's in waterford they're celebrating their 50th anniversary have you ever been there before no i've never been there so the nicest thing so there are three generations owned now um it's kind of a wild situation grandma and grandpa started it mom then took it over and now son who is in his 20s is running the place wow so and then vintage house which obviously the great history that you you have i bought it from the original owners it's crazy yep that's very cool man oh man liz do you stay the whole time with anthony and uh help him uh do stuff or do you

02:47:28 - 02:47:34 | Speaker 4:

go home and get away from all the shenanigans oh no i'm there from 6 a.m till 3 are you really

02:47:34 - 02:47:40 | Speaker 2:

she actually keeps me in check to be honest with you because i'm getting torn and pulled in many

02:47:40 - 02:47:46 | Speaker 3:

directions is vintage house like uh the tv show cheers where everybody knows your name where

02:47:46 - 02:47:55 | Speaker 2:

people do you know everybody like it's one of those things it's a lot of people a lot of groups uh everybody knows each other it's kind of like a reunion this party's turned into and a bunch of

02:47:55 - 02:48:04 | Speaker 1:

offices will just end up closing and transporting over so like all the co-workers go together and you see this big gang and you realize oh that office is closed for the day yep well liz you

02:48:04 - 02:48:30 | Speaker 2:

know jakellick insurance group farm bureau she's uh one of our key sponsors as well and i know her office staff will be coming you have an insurance group as a sponsor how smart is that She's our team sponsor along with Grovels, and she brings all her office staff over as well. Awesome. Looking forward to it. Thanks, guys. Thanks, Anthony. Thanks, Liz. Make sure you get some of that good food out there. Really nice to meet you guys. You brought food? I brought a whole spread. Did you? Show's over. We'll see you guys.

02:48:32 - 02:48:59 | Speaker 3:

Happy St. Patrick's Day. All right. Mojo in the morning show. Mike is one of the most inquisitive people ever, and you're a car guy. He loves cars. I think that for Mike, when he sees a nice-looking car, he wants to know a little bit more about it. Well, the other day, he feels he got busted by snooping into somebody's car. So you've got to be careful nowadays, Mike, because these cars have high-tech in them.

02:48:59 - 02:49:35 | Speaker 4:

Well, that's what I hear. And maybe you guys can tell me what's the situation here. Because I saw a Tesla in the parking lot. And you see him driving all over the place, but I've never really had a chance to look at one in person. I know that seems very, very small town of me to say, but I've never had a chance to just walk up to a Tesla and look inside one and look at the screen and everything inside of it. And I could Google it, but it's cooler in person. So I saw this one in the parking lot, and I'm like, all right, I'm just going to go check it out. Like, it was a white. I don't even know what they're like, the type of Teslas they have or whatever.

02:49:35 - 02:49:40 | Speaker 3:

They do it by letters. So it's like X's and Y's and ABCD's.

02:49:41 - 02:49:42 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it was just a white car.

02:49:42 - 02:49:43 | Speaker 3:

It looked pretty cool.

02:49:43 - 02:49:52 | Speaker 4:

It looked pretty sleek. Is it one of those ones that has the doors that open up like a spaceship? No, I did see that last night, though, in the parking lot for Paw Patrol.

02:49:53 - 02:50:05 | Speaker 3:

I've always wondered when people have those doors, if you're a bigger person and you're parked in a small spot, can your door still open? open or are you locked in your car that's a problem i've always wanted to know that but

02:50:05 - 02:50:15 | Speaker 5:

i still haven't been in a tesla yet either mike so were you were you drive did or did you like just sit there and look into it or was the person around uh no no so i just looked in it because

02:50:15 - 02:50:35 | Speaker 4:

the didn't have like tin of windows or anything so i looked in it it's got the big screen it looks very similar to the the uh the new kia evs or whatever but it's just it's the original so i wanted to see what it looked like and so i look at it it's got screens or whatever this giant Screen in the center. It looks like an iPad, doesn't it? Right there in the center console? Yeah. I wonder why. So they don't have a speedometer at all? It's all on that screen?

02:50:35 - 02:50:58 | Speaker 5:

No, it's all on that screen. That's kind of cool. Yeah, you see everything. It kind of weirds me out a little bit. The only thing that weirds me out about a Tesla, not so much the interior of it, is you can't hear it. So you cannot hear it. So it sneaks up on you sometimes. I'll be walking the dogs, and somebody will be driving a Tesla, and it'll be like, where the hell did you come from?

02:50:58 - 02:51:34 | Speaker 4:

i start going up so i hope it wasn't on man because i start like messing around and like i'm like hey dude because i got a buddy with me i'm like hey dude take a take a video or a picture whatever and i want to make it look like i'm sitting here driving this tesla i'll do something with social media on it or something i don't know it'll be funny i'll send it to you guys and you guys will tell me i'm dumb or laugh at it whatever and as we start doing the video he's like hold up i don't think we should do this and he's like why he's like i'm pretty sure teslas have cameras on them to monitor if somebody's looking or touching or they do i don't know they do i hope not i know

02:51:34 - 02:51:44 | Speaker 5:

that somebody's on the phone with us that owns a tesla it's stacy are you there yes i'm here does does your tesla have like cameras that can actually see people looking at your car

02:51:44 - 02:51:56 | Speaker 1:

yeah so if you walk up to it it will say like you're being recorded now you have to put a usb drive into it for it to actually like to be recorded yeah well you may not have it in there But it will record any time

02:51:56 - 02:52:00 | Speaker 5:

So it's like a ring camera On your car

02:52:00 - 02:52:12 | Speaker 1:

Yes, it kind of is But even if it's like my Because my phone is my key So if it doesn't recognize it for some reason Like it will record me trying to get into my car But I also have the Model X with the spaceship doors

02:52:12 - 02:52:13 | Speaker 5:

Yeah

02:52:13 - 02:52:22 | Speaker 1:

And it will adjust So like if you're in a parking garage Or if you're parked really close They will go more in and up So it adjusts based off of how close you are

02:52:22 - 02:52:36 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that's cool So you can't get locked in your car or stuck in there if you go into a tight squeeze. That's wild. That's the other thing that's wild about those cars is that you don't have a key, right? What is your thing that starts that car?

02:52:37 - 02:52:48 | Speaker 1:

Your phone. Your phone is your key. They do have like a credit card type thing that if you want to take like for a valet that you can give them that will start the car. But just use your key. So, you know, it's nice.

02:52:48 - 02:52:56 | Speaker 3:

A lot of car manufacturers are working their way towards that too. I would love that. In the future, I don't think we're going to be having key fobs and keys.

02:52:56 - 02:53:37 | Speaker 5:

I keep my phone with me all the time. The only problem is you've got to make sure your phone has a battery charged, right? So you've got to stay on top of that. Can I tell you something that's funny about Mike doing this? Is that I used to be the guy or the kid, so to speak, because I don't think I'd do it now as an adult, that would walk up to the car and I'd always stick my nose right up to it to look inside to see what it looks like. And I remember back when cars had the sensitivity of the alarm system where if you touched it, the alarm would go off. And always the alarms would go off. And I'd be like standing back going, I swear to God, I was just sitting there looking at that thing. But I was like Mike with the, I always want to look in people's cars. And nowadays I'm afraid to do it because.

02:53:38 - 02:53:42 | Speaker 2:

It looks like you're casing it to steal something or try to steal the car.

02:53:42 - 02:53:47 | Speaker 3:

What are you looking at, you nosy bastard? I just want to see what kind of options they have.

02:53:47 - 02:53:54 | Speaker 2:

If you're thinking about getting a new car, I want to see what the interior looks like. Like, oh, what is the interior of this, you know, Tahoe looks like. During Dream Cruise and stuff?

02:53:54 - 02:53:57 | Speaker 5:

Come on, tell me when you don't walk up and down Woodward during Dream Cruise and you're like.

02:53:57 - 02:54:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, well, they park in there because they want you to look. They want to brag about their cars.

02:54:00 - 02:54:04 | Speaker 5:

When is the auto show in Detroit? Summer. It's going to be in summer again?

02:54:04 - 02:54:04 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:54:05 - 02:54:12 | Speaker 5:

I love going to the auto show. There's nothing better than going and seeing cars that you can't afford. Wait. Oh, no, it's not.

02:54:12 - 02:54:16 | Speaker 2:

It's September. Is that right? September 13th through 24th?

02:54:16 - 02:54:23 | Speaker 5:

So great. That's a good time of year to do it because the weather is at least nice. They always did it in the wintertime back in the day, and it was just too cold.

02:54:24 - 02:54:25 | Speaker 2:

Do you drink, Chris?

02:54:27 - 02:54:59 | Speaker 5:

No, not as much. I'm not as big on older cars. I have been late. So can I tell you what every guy my age? So if you're over the age of 45 and you're between like 45 and 6 years old, I'm 52. Every guy wants the car they couldn't afford when they were 16. Yeah. So everybody, so I was talking to buddies of mine, friends of mine, like everybody's been trying to get IROC Zs. And so with these guys, those are now the cars that everybody wanted. You remember when an IROC Z was? It's like a Camaro, you know, it looks like that. But everybody wanted an IROC Z when they were 16 years old.

02:55:00 - 02:55:04 | Speaker 2:

can't do it well now you might have some money and you go you know that's kind of like you know

02:55:04 - 02:55:08 | Speaker 3:

what i want and then everybody looks at you going oh he's got a midlife crisis well it's funny

02:55:08 - 02:55:31 | Speaker 2:

because i said to chelsea i told chelsea i go i would love to i've always wanted to have a camaro but i've joked even earlier this morning saying i wasn't like big enough to have the thing the thing that i want like the car that i would love my neighbor had an international harvester they made them they made these suvs for a little bit and they're do you know what it is i'm looking it It was called a Scout.

02:55:32 - 02:55:33 | Speaker 4:

Is it a truck or a car?

02:55:33 - 02:55:37 | Speaker 2:

It's a truck. So it looks like a Ford Bronco.

02:55:38 - 02:55:41 | Speaker 3:

Wait, that's cute. Are they cool looking? Real retro looking.

02:55:41 - 02:55:50 | Speaker 2:

That's the thing I always wanted because my neighbor had one of those. And Robbie Smetano was the cool kid in the neighborhood that all the girls fooled around with. And I just thought that.

02:55:51 - 02:56:20 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. This is going to be the next Chinese car. Because I love the old, old Ford Broncos. is if you get one that's been like refurbished or rehabbed, whatever they call it, do you know that they're like up to $200,000 right now? Look at Volkswagen buses. Yes, they are insanely expensive. Do you know what car I have to talk my brother out of buying all the time? Truly, he found one for sale that was way too expensive was a DeLorean. Oh, really? He said that's a future game. Oh, my God. No. Yeah. No. No DeLoreans.

02:56:20 - 02:56:23 | Speaker 2:

No, hold on a second here. Go ahead. Keep talking about that.

02:56:23 - 02:56:32 | Speaker 3:

I loved my Chargers, and I'm so glad I don't have one now. that it's like the most stolen car in the Midwest. Oh, yeah. But I had three of them in a row, and I loved them.

02:56:32 - 02:57:14 | Speaker 4:

When I was growing up, my dad had a little MG, which is like this little two-seater convertible. And those are some of my favorite memories of being four, five, six years old and sitting in the front seat with him. And that's how he taught me how to drive stick, which I don't know. Well, last year, he said he was selling it. And it made me so sad because that's my childhood. So he was so excited to find out that I was bummed he was selling it. he is gifting it to me and teaching me teaching me how to drive stick okay you can teach me too yeah so I'm gonna have this little he has to work on it it's not in drivable condition right now but it's gonna be like a project for him and Wes to do so that I can have this car

02:57:14 - 02:57:17 | Speaker 2:

this is for Megan's brother

02:57:17 - 02:57:22 | Speaker 4:

Okay, my day is made that Huey Lewis is playing out of town.

02:57:22 - 02:57:33 | Speaker 2:

Hey, here's the deal. I love Huey. If your brother gets a DeLorean, your brother has to dress, you know, in the Jordans or the Air Force Ones or whatever that he was wearing, the vest.

02:57:33 - 02:57:34 | Speaker 1:

They're so expensive.

02:57:34 - 02:57:35 | Speaker 2:

Look like Michael J. Fox.

02:57:36 - 02:57:37 | Speaker 1:

They're so expensive.

02:57:37 - 02:57:38 | Speaker 2:

And then you got to be Doc.

02:57:39 - 02:57:39 | Speaker 1:

Now what?

02:57:41 - 02:57:42 | Speaker 2:

Roads.

02:57:42 - 02:57:44 | Speaker 3:

Where we're going, we don't need roads.

02:57:44 - 02:57:56 | Speaker 2:

It's funny, everything's retro nowadays Everybody's trying to relive The good times in their lives Can we wait for the hook to come on this? And then I'll do it

02:57:56 - 02:58:06 | Speaker 4:

Guys, he doesn't sound like this at his concert

02:58:06 - 02:58:11 | Speaker 3:

Huey Yeah, Huey's lost his voice In his voice.

02:58:21 - 02:58:41 | Speaker 2:

100.3 WNIC. Best hits of the 80s, 90s, and today. Go to one of the mornings top trending stories. All right, top trending stories. I went to the bank yesterday, and I was getting money out of the ATM. And I hate that when you go to the bank, all they do is give you 20s. Like, I hate that.

02:58:41 - 02:58:45 | Speaker 4:

Bank of America, you can pick If you want fives, tens, or twenties

02:58:45 - 02:59:02 | Speaker 2:

If they're a competitor And unfortunately, they only give you twenties in it So I wanted to go inside I know this sounds weird to say this But I want ones and fives I don't know why that is But I want to have one No, I agree No, I'm not that cheap at a strip club

02:59:02 - 02:59:08 | Speaker 4:

You're going to tip somebody I hate being like, I'm going to tip you Can you bring this?

02:59:08 - 02:59:39 | Speaker 2:

So I walked into the bank and there was a lady that was in the bank and she was withdrawing all her money because of all the fears of going on right now with the banking system. Well, today, story is out that Moody's, the investment service, has officially looked at the outlook at the banking system with a negative look. They're now saying that the banking system is now gone to a negative from stable, which they are the ones that do the ranking of this and it's all because of those banks that lost all their money and the government had to come in

02:59:39 - 03:00:06 | Speaker 1:

We have learned the Justice Department and the SEC are launching investigations into the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank. They'll be looking into whether any of the bank's executives got unusual bonuses. They'll also look for evidence of insider trading. The bank's CEO reportedly sold millions in stock just two weeks before. the bank's collapse. But it's not clear if there was any wrongdoing. The SEC and the Department

03:00:06 - 03:00:21 | Speaker 4:

of Justice both will be interested in who knew what when. Normally, the SEC and the other stock exchanges look at insiders of the company to see, you know, if maybe they had some unusual trading.

03:00:22 - 03:00:33 | Speaker 1:

Experts say higher interest rates played a big role in the bank's collapse. And now some analysts expect the Federal Reserve will hold back on raising interest rates again when it meets next

03:00:33 - 03:00:45 | Speaker 2:

week. Policymaking 101 is if there's a lot of uncertainty and there's a boatload of uncertainty, you err on the side of being more accommodative, and that would argue for no rate increase.

03:00:45 - 03:01:02 | Speaker 1:

Most experts say the banking system is safe, and the failures of Silicon Valley and Signature Banks were due to their own mismanagement. Still, the Moody's rating agency has downgraded The entire banking system, it says, conditions in the industry are rapidly deteriorating.

03:01:03 - 03:01:06 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, it's a weird time that we're in right now.

03:01:06 - 03:01:13 | Speaker 3:

The problem is if people go and pull all their money out, it only accelerates the problems and makes it way worse and forces us into a major recession.

03:01:13 - 03:01:16 | Speaker 7:

Well, we're facing that anyways, right? This is all kind of scary.

03:01:16 - 03:01:28 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's like the Federal Reserve's in this dilemma because the bank turmoil is a reason to pause interest rates, but the high inflation's a reason to continue them. And there's this wiggle run. It's like a thin line of wiggle room to keep us on track.

03:01:29 - 03:01:34 | Speaker 5:

Simplify this for me. Is this what happened? And it's a wonderful life. Yes. Yes. OK. Mr. Potter. Actually, exactly.

03:01:34 - 03:01:50 | Speaker 3:

Mr. Potter. Right. No, because he faced consequences. Unfortunately, the last few financial crises in this country, we rewarded all the bank executives and everybody left unscathed with their billions while America was the one bailing them out and going poor.

03:01:50 - 03:01:59 | Speaker 7:

The CEO of this company, two weeks before this bank run, sold $3.2 million of stocks. Yeah, so they just said they were looking into it. Sorry, sorry. Was that what I was going to say?

03:01:59 - 03:02:36 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Did you hear the story yesterday? Remember those balloons that were flying that everybody was like, shoot them down, shoot them down? Well, yesterday there was another crazy thing. A Russian jet intercepted a U.S. drone over the Black Sea, forcing it down. And now there's some ramifications that could come into play. This is kind of scary, too, with Russia doing this. Listen, we fly drones, and other countries fly drones, too. But for them to take it down, usually you don't see military action like that. The Russians are saying that it was not supposed to be flying in that particular area.

03:02:36 - 03:02:53 | Speaker 3:

It's still over international waters. I mean, all the countries do it. We all spy on each other and have all these surveillance things. But it was wild how they were buzzing it with the Russian jets and pouring fuel. They were, like, releasing fuel from the jets onto the drone, trying to catch it on fire. It was really crazy.

03:02:53 - 03:03:15 | Speaker 6:

And then eventually, what, just shot it down? Is that what they did? You want to know how to win your March Madness bracket? Researchers have a way that you can win it. Hold on. What did I – wait, what is that? Oh, oh. I played the phone scam from earlier this morning. I was looking for the March Madness bed, and for some reason, the phone scam was going on. Mike, will you just do da-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na?

03:03:15 - 03:03:25 | Speaker 5:

that's the music that they play on cbs for the march man every year you tell us how researchers

03:03:25 - 03:03:29 | Speaker 3:

have figured out how to beat the brackets and every year i don't see any researchers as

03:03:29 - 03:04:11 | Speaker 6:

millionaires retiring from research well you got to get in the right pools here listen to how they say that you should pick they say that you should pick top seeded teams from each region first and And then work your way backwards on the bracket instead of going to the first round, making your picks. So work backwards, pick your final four team, then pick your elite eight, your sweet 16, and then work your way all the way up to the first and second rounds of the bracket. And they say that that is the reason, according to these researchers that, by the way, are like numbers guys. They say that is the way that you can win your office pool. So you should tell the guy that your phone scammed earlier this morning to do that.

03:04:12 - 03:04:27 | Speaker 3:

I always lose because I didn't realize until this year I finally was reading something that how infrequently the Big Ten ever makes it to the Final Four, and I didn't realize. I mean, I always pick a few hometown favorites, but if you're picking Big Ten teams, you're destined to lose. I think this year especially.

03:04:28 - 03:04:59 | Speaker 6:

I think this year the Big Ten just is too erratic. I don't know. I think it's going to be one of those teams like Alabama that's going to win this thing, Or Kansas, they always end up winning this thing. And the last story for you, we were talking about cars. When will flying cars be coming to a market near you or to a car dealership near you? Yesterday, I was watching TMZ Live. Do you ever watch that show? Sometimes. Harvey Levin does like the show with, what's the guy's name? What's the dude with the dreads and stuff?

03:05:00 - 03:05:01 | Speaker 7:

does the show with him? I always liked that guy.

03:05:02 - 03:05:04 | Speaker 3:

Is that the guy that got in a fight with Kanye?

03:05:05 - 03:05:28 | Speaker 7:

You know what? I don't know. So they do the show and they take calls. I've always wanted them to pick us. Why don't they ever pick us as a morning show? The other morning shows have been on there. Well, TMZ Live, they had a guy on there from Doran Aerospace. They're a company that is making a flying car like you would see on the Jetsons.

03:05:28 - 03:05:34 | Speaker 8:

It's hard. We've been, look, like most people, we've been dreaming. So when is it going to happen?

03:05:34 - 03:05:51 | Speaker 1:

Well, sooner than later, probably. It's very close. We already start test fighting our H1, P1, in our facility here in Pompano Beach, Florida. And we hope to start delivering by end of 24, beginning of 25.

03:05:51 - 03:05:58 | Speaker 8:

How does this work? I mean, is it regulated by the FAA? I mean, how would something like this work?

03:05:59 - 03:06:34 | Speaker 1:

We are targeting what's called LSA light sport aircraft. It is two-seater, sort of a roadster vehicle for short distances, for personal use that can be used for multiple situations or multiple cases. cases like, you know, I want to play golf. I want to, you know, I have this vehicle. I'm going to a more less populated area. Cannot fly into a main city like Chicago or New York at this point, but you know, outside of, you know, this vicinity, you can fly first responders, military armed forces.

03:06:34 - 03:06:48 | Speaker 7:

Isn't that wild? Could you imagine you want to go to an appointment and it's an area that's tough to get to, you can take your flying car. You know what the price is? What? They say starting at a quarter million dollars. $250,000

03:06:48 - 03:06:57 | Speaker 3:

for that car. I'm not worried about the price. I'm worried about the drivers. We can't even handle 2D on the roads. Now we're going to have to worry about crazy drivers in the sky, too.

03:06:57 - 03:07:01 | Speaker 2:

If there's a crash or something, all the debris falls down on us. Can you imagine

03:07:01 - 03:07:52 | Speaker 7:

Mike, by the way? Mike, if he saw a flying car, he'd be staring in it. Yeah. Can I take a look in this car? Are they taping us? All right. Have a great day.
