Good morning and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. It's Thursday, War of the Roses, and a wife suspects that her husband is cheating on her. He left his phone somewhere, and it got lost, didn't know where it was, only to have it returned to him at his work by a very attractive woman. and his wife suspects that there's something more to the story than just somebody found his phone and was able to return it and i think there's more to that story too and we'll do a call coming up here in about say i don't know 45 minutes or so so stick around for war of the roses and if you ever miss phone scams war of the roses or anything that we talk about on the show

00:05:00 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 3:

podcast them for you so you can actually check them out even like moments after they air on the show on snx channel 955 and 92.5 kiss fm so make sure that you're always following us and you have us in auto download to your phone or wherever you take your podcast mojo on the morning show welcome back to our producer kp who was out the last couple of mornings under the weather feeling sick and are you feeling better

00:05:31 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 2:

KP? I'm feeling a lot better today but it was a rough couple days. It was

00:05:37 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 3:

huh? So you worked on Monday. You came in on Monday and I had made mention that you did sound like you were very congested which I actually thought that it sounded cute to be honest with you. It was kind of like one of those things where it was like I don't know you're That's what it sounded like That's what it kind of sounded like Like you ever know somebody's like talk it's like they talk with their tongue at the top of their mouth

00:06:02 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 4:

you were getting progressively worse

00:06:05 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 2:

as the day went on now that is what was so weird to me because I started sneezing on the flight back to Detroit that's why I thought it was allergies and that's why I kept telling myself it's allergies, it's allergies, it's allergies it was not allergies by the time I think we got to Monday it hit me at work we had a meeting I believe midday and I was dying yeah and i was trying to like pull through and then um but i just want to say because i uh i had everyone convinced it was it was no nobody was convinced i had myself convinced that it was allergies and it was for sure cold but i had get these brutal allergy breakouts like i don't even know if you'd call it a breakout when allergy season hits and i legit look like i'm high Like I said, you guys had a picture yesterday? Yeah. Where it was like, I don't know, did you see it?

00:06:58 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 3:

Your picture?

00:07:00 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:07:00 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 3:

I just looked at it. So we send our little topic diaries to each other, and you email the picture of yourself, and you look like you're high, as the drop would say.

00:07:12 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 4:

The picture you sent, though, it almost looks photoshopped. I've never, and I know it's not. I'm just saying I've never seen someone's eyes look like that.

00:07:22 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 2:

in both of your eyes like bright bright pink yes and that is horrible oh my gosh i can you imagine because that was when i was a waitress like can you imagine having your waitress look like that and it looks like you have my guy in both eyes yeah comes up to your table and like hey here's your fries want some ketchup um yeah no it was it was rough so i just want to i just seen my

00:07:42 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 1:

allergist last week and i have the same horrible pollen and and seasonal allergies you have and i I was laughing because I'm like, you kept saying that. And I'm like, this is not the time for that. This is like, everything's dead right now. Yeah, I was going to say that.

00:07:56 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 3:

This is an allergy season.

00:07:57 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 2:

That's why I thought it was from coming up from Tampa. Something must have triggered my allergies there. No, it happened to me when I was in Chicago because I have really bad allergies. You're just around different plants than you're normally around.

00:08:07 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I get it in Florida sometimes.

00:08:09 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:08:10 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 3:

So, okay, so it could be allergies then.

00:08:13 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 2:

Because your body's just like not accustomed to the ecosphere there. Also, who sneezes when they have a cold? I don't know if that's just a me thing I never used to sneeze That's why I thought it was allergies too I didn't have any body aches I didn't have a headache I was just sneezing

00:08:29 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 3:

Well, I want to tell you this That ever since Monday And then you telling me at the end of the day That you weren't feeling well And you might not be in on Tuesday I'm a hypochondriac Because I felt like I have I'm like, oh my god, I'm getting sick I'm going to get sick Friday we got the broadcast, which we do, by the way, tomorrow, Kennedy's Irish Pub. Come join us. But then Saturday we got, you know, Irish and Ionia. And there's like two things I do not want to miss. And honestly, if I'm going to miss any of these things, I'd rather miss tomorrow than miss Saturday. But I know if I miss tomorrow, it's like what we talked about yesterday at this time when we were talking about Lucy having her party or after show or after school, whatever the heck it is, get together. um you don't go to work on Friday you can't go to work on Saturday so I don't want to be sick so I've been you should have seen me yesterday so yesterday I had a um meeting at Topgolf because I'm doing a mojo in the morning uh golf tournament to benefit the Little League of Pontiac the PAL League the Police Athletic League and so we got together there to show the setup of what it's going to look like because we're doing it at top golf because golf course you know uh little tournaments and stuff they take too long have you ever gone to one of those before they're like they start at like 10 in the morning and they don't end till like seven o'clock at night and some people love them i hate them so we said you know what let's just have a night of partying at top golf to raise money so yesterday i'm like stay away from me i'm keeping people at bay because I don't want people around me to get me sick. I want to be able to get through. Do you ever worry, Spike, are you worried that you're sitting next to her right now?

00:10:10 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 6:

Well, it's funny because I was at the theater two nights ago and the lady behind me just kept coughing and coughing and coughing. And we've kind of let our guard down, but wintertime is usually when I get sick. I always get colds and viruses. Just typically I'm a Petri dish for always catching. i would always get whatever the girls would bring home from school and now they're older but i have a six-year-old boy in my house and it's again you know that's the word always bringing germs home and then yeah and then i was just reading this week there's another small wave of covid going

00:10:45 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 4:

around which because sister her husband and both of her kids have it right yeah i know a bunch of

00:10:49 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 6:

people even people my immediate circle that have covid right now because it's just i think they say because of winter break people traveling and then they all brought it back here yep and so i just keep thinking the same thing as mojo like i haven't had a saint patrick's day in three years

00:11:05 - 00:11:29 | Speaker 1:

please please don't ruin this for me that was the point where i was like you know what i whatever this is i'm gonna stay home and just because i i knew we had so much coming up plus i don't know i i realized when i walked into cody's office yesterday and i couldn't hand her or not yesterday on Monday, I handed her a prize that she had to give out that I was toppling over. That's when I knew that it wasn't

00:11:29 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you actually were unstable

00:11:31 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I literally was like, okay, Cody, I'm gonna go home

00:11:33 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 3:

Oh, gosh. Wow Well, we're happy to have Oh, Jesus. Oh, no

00:11:38 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 2:

No No Yeah, we're happy to have you back

00:11:46 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 3:

Happy to have you back is what I was trying to say That actually is just pure stutterness of my show, of me talking What's going on, Jackie?

00:11:53 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah, I was just calling in that I wanted to apologize to KP for her future. Allergies get worse every year, and they always will, because a lot of cities don't want to deal with the cleanup of female plants because it drops all the fruit. So they get rid of all the female trees, so it's just male trees and all the pollen being released and nothing's catching it.

00:12:15 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 3:

Wait, so women are to blame for this? Is that what you're saying?

00:12:18 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 2:

so exponentially every year it's going to get worse and i'm so sorry wow well i uh i now we

00:12:27 - 00:12:31 | Speaker 3:

know the answer that was a very technical thing i didn't know and i don't understand how do you

00:12:31 - 00:12:37 | Speaker 2:

know all this stuff jackie uh because i don't know anything except for useless facts oh is that what

00:12:37 - 00:12:46 | Speaker 3:

it is yeah i suffer from that disease all right well uh thank you for the call when is when is allergy season i always thought it was like the end of summer honestly i feel like it's the whole

00:12:46 - 00:12:54 | Speaker 6:

year after the last frost once things start blooming winter to winter yeah yeah the end

00:12:54 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 3:

of winter to the beginning of feels like it so spike you sent this yesterday in our group chat and this morning i was listening to wwj uh news radio 950 on my way in and they were talking about how saturday we are supposed to get like blizzard like conditions without the sticking of the snow It's going to be like blustery snow, wind, cold, like temperatures. And I said, are you kidding me? Like, didn't we say two weeks ago or whatever, or three weeks ago when it was like that condition on a Friday? And I said, this cannot be that way for Irish and Ionia. And I was like, oh, my God. I was thinking about us going out and partying and we're going to be partying, you know, in a great time. But, Mike, will you explain to people that it's not purely outside? Like, we obviously will drink enough to keep ourselves warm. Yeah.

00:13:48 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 5:

But there's heated tents. You could go in and out of HopCat if you wanted to. If you got the VIP pass, you could go in Grand Rapids Brewing Company. But really, if you haven't drank in a winter festival in Michigan, are you even really from Michigan? Amen. That's true.

00:14:03 - 00:14:14 | Speaker 6:

Amen. Yeah. Listen, everybody, I feel like everybody should have, by adulthood, circled around a bonfire in February and drinking while standing in eight inches of snow.

00:14:14 - 00:14:16 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, just put on some gloves and a hat.

00:14:16 - 00:14:21 | Speaker 6:

It's part of the fun. That's why people go to opening day, and you're just day drinking out in the cold.

00:14:21 - 00:14:25 | Speaker 3:

Although, I'll be honest with you, though. You're right. We're from Michigan, but.

00:14:25 - 00:14:49 | Speaker 4:

It's still never. It's still never fun. And the frustrating part is. I was, like, trying to throw a few things in a pile to pack, because I have a busy night tonight and tomorrow, so I just wanted to be prepared, and I was like, I'm literally doubling up on my coats. I'm bringing, I bought hand warmers for all of us, so we can put them in gloves. I bought foot warmers for all of us. Like the true mom I am So we can stick them to the bottom of our socks And our boots I'm serious, we will be warm

00:14:49 - 00:14:56 | Speaker 6:

That's why I sent that to you guys last night Because Halloween and St. Patrick's Day are similar In that you have this outfit you want to show off

00:14:56 - 00:14:58 | Speaker 4:

They probably bought the cutest bodies

00:14:58 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 6:

So I wanted to make sure the girls knew

00:15:00 - 00:15:01 | Speaker 1:

bodysuits. You're going to have to wear a jacket.

00:15:02 - 00:15:05 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. And I'm not buying a green coat. I'm not doing that.

00:15:06 - 00:15:11 | Speaker 1:

I do have a green coat. It's just not warm. So I'm not wearing it. My winter jacket is green. So I feel like I'm...

00:15:11 - 00:15:16 | Speaker 3:

Oh, good for you. Okay, I'm sorry.

00:15:16 - 00:15:44 | Speaker 6:

You know what's funny is that I was thinking, okay, well maybe green hats, green gloves, all the rest of that stuff. And then I was trying to think, what could we do last minute to make some money off of this deal? Because if it does get really cold, Maybe we could call up our friends that print up stuff for us, and we can have them print up Mojo in the morning, like green snow hats or snow gloves or something like that, and then we sell them on a corner. What do you think?

00:15:44 - 00:15:52 | Speaker 3:

Honestly, that would be that. Would we not make money? I'm still waiting for our T-shirts for tomorrow. You're still waiting for what's that? For our T-shirts for tomorrow. They're not in here?

00:15:52 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 4:

No, Lord.

00:15:54 - 00:15:55 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to check with Cody today.

00:15:55 - 00:16:10 | Speaker 6:

Did you double check with Cody? Because what is it, the first 95 people, I believe, that get to our broadcast tomorrow will get our commemorative T-shirt. If they're in. There's a supply chain. Everybody blames it on supply chain. There's a supply chain. I'm sorry. We're out of cotton right now.

00:16:10 - 00:16:11 | Speaker 2:

I'm blaming on my allergies.

00:16:13 - 00:16:24 | Speaker 6:

All right. So we got a busy couple days, guys. It's going to be fun. If you would like to party with the Mojo in the Morning Show tomorrow at this time, we'll be coming to you warm and toasty inside at Kennedy's Irish Pub in Waterford.

00:16:24 - 00:16:29 | Speaker 4:

I'd get there early if you really want to party with us. Don't show up at 9 and expect to get in. That place is small.

00:16:29 - 00:16:44 | Speaker 6:

And we will be out Saturday at Irish on Ionia. So get ready, Grand Rapids, because the Mojo in the Morning Show, the entire show, everybody, even that girl from Toledo, she will be there as well as all the rest of us will be there.

00:16:44 - 00:16:49 | Speaker 3:

Why are we getting disrespected so early in the morning? This usually doesn't start until like 7.

00:16:49 - 00:17:00 | Speaker 6:

That's actually nice. I just want you to know that. It's nice to be disrespected. No, that was me being nice right there. Oh, great. All right, we've got to take a break. We'll be right back with more Mojo in the Morning coming up.

00:17:01 - 00:17:09 | Speaker 5:

We'll get you caught up on what.

00:20:00 - 00:20:02 | Speaker 5:

That's trending with the Dirty on the 30 and Shannon.

00:20:02 - 00:20:44 | Speaker 4:

Yesterday, the NBA handed All-Star guard John Morant an eight-game suspension without pay and said him displaying that firearm, that gun, at a strip club in suburban Denver earlier this month was conduct that is detrimental to the league. Morant missed his sixth consecutive game when the Grizzlies played in Miami last night. So he's also going to miss the next two games at San Antonio on Friday and then home against Golden State on Saturday. He will be eligible to return on Monday when Memphis plays Dallas, though he's not expected to play that night. He will forfeit about $669,000 in salary. Meanwhile, he says that gun that he flashed that night wasn't even his.

00:20:44 - 00:21:15 | Speaker 2:

The gun wasn't mine. It's not who I am. I don't condone any type of violence. But I take full responsibility for my actions. I made a bad mistake. And I can see the image, you know, that I painted, you know, over myself, you know, with my recent mistakes. But, you know, in the future, I'm going to show everybody who John really is, you know, what I'm about and, you know, change this narrative.

00:21:16 - 00:21:29 | Speaker 4:

Hasn't said whose gun it was, but he did say he's in a good mental place after what happened. He's been talking to therapists, getting all sorts of treatment, working on anxiety breathing to help him deal with a lot of the stress that he has in his life.

00:21:29 - 00:21:38 | Speaker 5:

I like what Stephen A. Smith said. He needs new friends. I mean, that's honestly, sometimes the people that you're associated with are the ones that you need to disassociate with.

00:21:38 - 00:22:53 | Speaker 4:

Yep. A Hollywood writer and producer is slamming actress Jenna Ortega for acting entitled and toxic after she criticized the writers of her Netflix smash hit Wednesday. Stephen DeKnight, whose writing credits include Buffy the Vampire Slayer and that star series Spartacus, said he thought Jenna's comments were really unprofessional. Now, specifically, she said nothing about the character Wednesday made sense to her, and she had to step in to correct the arc of the story. She said, quote, I don't think I've ever had to put my foot down more on a set in a way than I had to do on Wednesday. So this writer producer said not cool, not cool to speak about script discussions, not cool to publicly spit on the writers and producers of your show. that made you really, really successful and popular. This guy, again, his name is Stephen DeKnight, tweeted, I love talking with actors about their storylines, but by the nature of the beast, they don't have the full picture of where the story is going and why some lines are needed for the whole thing to make sense. She's young, so maybe she doesn't know any better, but she should. He added, this kind of statement is beyond entitled and toxic. I love her work, but life's too short to deal with people like this in the business.

00:22:54 - 00:23:05 | Speaker 7:

But she's also playing a teenage girl, and it probably wasn't written by teenage girls. So don't you get a little bit of leeway saying we don't talk like this or we wouldn't act like this? That's a great point.

00:23:05 - 00:23:14 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, her input is definitely needed in a role and you're going to make it your own. I don't know the whole ins and outs of how much you share publicly like that.

00:23:14 - 00:23:26 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, but it sounds like one writer got butthurt over her comments saying like, oh, some of this didn't make sense as a teenage girl. And then he was like, you don't talk about it. It seems like he kind of made a big situation over a small farmer.

00:23:26 - 00:23:30 | Speaker 5:

Will you explain what butt hurt means to that writer? Because I don't think he understands.

00:23:34 - 00:23:58 | Speaker 4:

At a ceremony yesterday, the hands and footprints of the late Kobe Bryant were moved to a permanent display in front of that famous Chinese theater in Hollywood. Kobe made the mold actually way back in 2011, but the display was inside the theater, so you only could see it if you came to see a movie. Well, now the prints are on the sidewalk out front alongside legends like Marilyn Monroe and Eddie Murphy. His daughter, Natalia, spoke at yesterday's ceremony.

00:23:58 - 00:24:13 | Speaker 1:

It's truly astounding to be standing here in front of the Chinese Theater in Hollywood, forever displaying my dad's hands and footprints. As you visit here for years to come, I encourage you to place your hands in his and take a moment to stand in his shoes.

00:24:14 - 00:24:33 | Speaker 4:

And lastly, for the first time in three decades, the most popular purebred dog breed in the United States is the French Bulldog. According to the American Kennel Club, the French Bulldog, the Frenchie, knocked Labrador Retrievers from the top spot after a record 31 years.

00:24:33 - 00:24:51 | Speaker 6:

People really love the French Bulldog. People wanting something that's adaptable. People, a lot more people working from home, a lot more people with flexibility and wanting something that can kind of move with them wherever they go. And the Frenchie does have a lot of that because it's not a big dog and it is an adaptable dog And it doesn't require a lot of exercise

00:24:51 - 00:24:54 | Speaker 4:

Wes has a French Bulldog How expensive are they?

00:24:54 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 6:

So expensive I almost got one instead of my Italian Greyhound

00:25:00 - 00:25:00 | Speaker 2:

I love them.

00:25:00 - 00:25:17 | Speaker 1:

They have a lot of medical issues. They're really cute, but Willow is cray, cray, cray, cray, cray. The AKC's top ten, by the way, in case you were wondering. Frenchies Labs, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Poodles, Bulldogs, followed by Rottweilers, Beagles, Dachshunds, and German short-haired Pointers.

00:25:17 - 00:25:20 | Speaker 2:

Is that the same kind of dog that Jay has? Jay Towers has?

00:25:20 - 00:25:22 | Speaker 1:

He has an English Bulldog.

00:25:22 - 00:25:24 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. I love his dog.

00:25:24 - 00:25:26 | Speaker 1:

His dog is so cute. They have a lot of health issues, too.

00:25:26 - 00:25:27 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah.

00:25:27 - 00:25:34 | Speaker 1:

All right. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on MojoInTheMorning.com. If he has a dog, he won't be lonesome.

00:25:35 - 00:25:48 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirt. And another phone scam coming up in minutes. Oh, man, you were the side chick. And he cheated on you, too? What a guy. Another War of the Roses is after 7 on Mojo in the Morning.

00:25:52 - 00:26:10 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah, March Madness. It's March Madness for college basketball. And a lot of offices, including where Jeremy works, are doing those unofficial pools where you can make money off of filling out brackets, you know, and trying to get the perfect bracket.

00:26:11 - 00:26:13 | Speaker 3:

Where I can lose money. I never make money.

00:26:14 - 00:26:18 | Speaker 2:

Well, you're going to bust him for doing a legal bracket. Is that right? A legal pool?

00:26:18 - 00:26:25 | Speaker 3:

In this phone scam, they gave me all the info about him setting it up at the works. So I'm going to call and bust him for illegal gambling.

00:26:25 - 00:26:27 | Speaker 2:

It's a Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

00:26:27 - 00:26:37 | Speaker 4:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scams. Mojo in the Morning.

00:26:40 - 00:26:43 | Speaker 3:

Hello? Hey, how's it going, man? Is this Jeremy?

00:26:44 - 00:26:45 | Speaker 5:

Yes, sir.

00:26:45 - 00:26:51 | Speaker 3:

Hey, glad I got a hold of you. I'm calling about the March Madness Brackets. Are you the guy that's taking the money in the office?

00:26:52 - 00:27:16 | Speaker 5:

yes i am it's gonna be a big pool this year man oh yeah like what are you thinking so we got we got max payouts going first place 70 percent of it second place getting 10 and then the house oh we're actually giving 10 uh 10 percent to third place as well that's right and then uh we're gonna divide it up 10 for the house can i still get in on it yeah man take your books

00:27:16 - 00:27:33 | Speaker 3:

Oh, sweet. Yeah, yeah. Who is this again? Mr. F***, this is Detective Robert Blocks from the FBI in Washington, D.C. Gambling Compliance Division. We're contacting the authors of some online illegal activity. And, sir, we need about three minutes of your time to talk about this bracket.

00:27:35 - 00:27:36 | Speaker 5:

I don't understand. What is this?

00:27:37 - 00:27:55 | Speaker 3:

Well, sir, you just confirmed to me that you're the facilitator of your office pool for the quote-unquote big dance. But we didn't need your confirmation. We actually already have printouts of your transactions and brackets from Yahoo and CBS Sportsline, and I'm calling to inform you that you're in violation of a 1992 federal law which prohibits sports betting.

00:27:58 - 00:28:03 | Speaker 5:

I mean, I'm just doing what everyone else is doing. I don't understand what a big deal is.

00:28:03 - 00:28:04 | Speaker 3:

What do you mean everybody's not breaking the law?

00:28:05 - 00:28:08 | Speaker 5:

I don't know what to say.

00:28:09 - 00:28:12 | Speaker 3:

Everyone drives 85 on their way home from work. Does that make it fine and legal?

00:28:13 - 00:28:17 | Speaker 5:

But there's been brackets and squares in this office every year since I started working here.

00:28:18 - 00:28:19 | Speaker 3:

Really? Did you work there in 1961?

00:28:21 - 00:28:21 | Speaker 5:

No.

00:28:22 - 00:28:49 | Speaker 3:

Because that's when they passed the Interstate Wire Act, making it illegal to communicate sports wagers over the wires, a rule the Department of Justice has deemed to include the Internet. And then there is the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act, which makes it illegal to accept payments related to gambling. I'm assuming you don't run a legally licensed casino in the state, do you? No, no, I don't. So there's not a lot of big gray area here, you understand? I suppose the only question remains is whether you will choose to pay the fine or do the time.

00:28:49 - 00:28:51 | Speaker 5:

Wait, man, who do you think you're from?

00:28:51 - 00:29:30 | Speaker 3:

My name is Officer Robert Blocks, and we're going to have to schedule an interview to come in and talk to you. I'm not asking you to make a decision now, sir. I'm merely calling to confirm your current mailing address where we can send your bench warrant and notice to appear. Are you serious right now? I'm very serious, sir, and I love how people think the FBI is too busy to chase down the cubicle dwellers for dropping a 10 spot on UCLA. When you add it all up, there's over $2 billion in NCAA gambling going on this week in offices nationwide, and that's not something we can ignore. Now, your amount is in the thousands, as you just admitted to me on the phone, which could land you in jail, but more likely you could avoid that and just pay a fine of about $1,200.

00:29:31 - 00:29:35 | Speaker 5:

I've never heard of such things, so I'm going to have to talk to my lawyer.

00:29:35 - 00:29:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you will have to talk to a lawyer for sure. And I'm sure it's not your company's policy to allow illegal March Madness office pools for money. And that's why my next call is to your corporate management.

00:29:47 - 00:29:48 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my gosh.

00:29:48 - 00:30:23 | Speaker 3:

And you also didn't claim last year's gambling winnings on a Schedule A tax form? And also, who'd you pick to go to the final for? I'm looking at this bracket. What the hell is wrong with you? This is Spike from the Mojo on the Morning Show. You deliver a crate of Cool Ranch Doritos, Locos, Tacos to this office, and I'll see if I can make your charges disappear. Oh, jeez. You've just been phone scammed from the Mojo on the Morning Show. Oh, my God. Yeah, well, you're busted twice. You're busted with the phone scam, and then you're going to be busted with these brackets pretty quick. Yeah, it sounds like it. Oh, my God.

00:30:23 - 00:30:46 | Speaker 2:

We have a bunch of opportunities for you to test your relationship to see if your spouse is cheating on you. If you think that there is somebody cheating, and we specifically, guys, we know girls are players too, and actually girls. If you are in a relationship with a girl and you think that they're playing you, we want you to text cheater to 95500. Text cheater to 95500, and we will get you on the War of the Roses.

00:36:54 - 00:36:59 | Speaker 4:

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

00:37:00 - 00:37:03 | Speaker 2:

So Carrie Ann has been married now for, was it four years?

00:37:04 - 00:37:04 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:37:06 - 00:37:22 | Speaker 2:

And is starting to worry about her marriage because she's suspecting that her husband's cheating. It stems from something that happened with his phone. First off, tell us a story about how he's kind of claiming that he's forgetting things a lot

00:37:22 - 00:37:40 | Speaker 3:

Recently, he keeps losing his phone charger So he keeps buying new ones because he forgets them somewhere And then the really big item he locked was his phone And this woman turned it into his work So I asked

00:37:40 - 00:37:44 | Speaker 2:

Who's the woman?

00:37:45 - 00:38:02 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I don't know. I asked a co-worker about it and the co-worker said that it was this really beautiful, really hot girl and that she and my husband seemed to know each other and she dropped his phone off at work.

00:38:02 - 00:38:06 | Speaker 2:

So not necessarily did he lose it, he left it.

00:38:06 - 00:38:08 | Speaker 1:

He left it, yeah. Yeah.

00:38:09 - 00:38:19 | Speaker 2:

We're going to call him up to see where he's going to send a dozen free roses. And I want you to mute your phone and not say a word, okay, and let Shannon do all the talking.

00:38:20 - 00:38:21 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:38:21 - 00:38:22 | Speaker 2:

All right, War of the Roses.

00:38:32 - 00:39:34 | Speaker 1:

I didn't have any plans to. Okay. You are done. I promise you'll be fast. And now as a thank you

00:39:42 - 00:39:52 | Speaker 1:

00:39:52 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 3:

these flowers are going to uh okay sure um

00:40:00 - 00:40:35 | Speaker 2:

I, Carrie Ann. Okay. And, just so I, we can also include a message on a card with the flowers. What did you want that message to say? Thinking of you, yeah, thinking of you love Spence. Okay, Spencer, I also have to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes. Are you okay with that? Sure, yeah. Great.

00:40:36 - 00:41:06 | Speaker 1:

Spencer, I'm going to jump on, and I'm going to gather all the rest of the information, like the phone number. But I also need to tell you one more thing before we do that, that while we have been calling you up to see where you'd send a dozen free roses, your wife, Carrie Ann, has been listening in on the phone because she's the one who asked us to call you because she wanted to see where you had sent a dozen free roses.

00:41:09 - 00:41:11 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Oh, my God. Really?

00:41:12 - 00:41:19 | Speaker 1:

Yes. And Carrie Ann, are you happy that you got the flowers?

00:41:20 - 00:41:28 | Speaker 2:

I am beyond happy. hey hey honey

00:41:28 - 00:41:37 | Speaker 1:

Carrie Ann do you want us to tell Spencer more details or do you want to just get the flowers and go

00:41:37 - 00:41:51 | Speaker 2:

well maybe that should be between him and I I would yeah it's just kind of hard to do this we're going to get

00:41:51 - 00:41:57 | Speaker 1:

those flowers off okay So, Spencer, hang on. We're going to get some information from you and get those flowers off.

00:41:58 - 00:41:59 | Speaker 2:

Thank you.

00:42:00 - 00:42:55 | Speaker 1:

Okay, put them on a hole. Watching you do that, you got caught off guard when the flowers actually went to carry in. Very, very caught off guard. Which, honestly, is a good thing. Do you see the text exchange that we're having right now with the numbers 734 up there? so there's somebody that keeps texting us saying that they know this spencer and they know all the details about what's going on can we try to get them on the phone with us will you guys try to call and see if we can get that person on just to find out more details because obviously she didn't want to talk about it but we can definitely talk about it um war of the roses Thoughts on this And when we come back here next We will get that person on the phone It's Mojo in the Morning Show Don't go anywhere

00:42:55 - 00:43:10 | Speaker 2:

Join the discussion now 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 This is the home of War of the Roses Mojo in the Morning This is the home of War of the Roses Mojo in the Morning

00:43:16 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the morning. All right, so just a recap on the War of the Roses. Carrie Ann said that she was suspicious that her husband was cheating on her. He lost his phone and then had it returned to him at his work. By what she found out from a friend of hers who works with her husband was a very attractive woman who they seemed to know. Okay, that's where it obviously got a little sketchy. Well, we called the offer a dozen free roses and really got nothing. We cannot say that we have a cheater here because he did not send the flowers, but we can speculate, especially off of text messages that we're getting. And we tried to call this 734 number. This person has sent multiple texts. We'll read some of the texts to you. I know, Spencer. we work together and there's more to the story and then we contacted them and said hey we're going to call you right now and they said back they said I don't want to get involved in this whole thing but I do know that there is more to who that girl is and then we kept calling back and kept getting bumped on that and got a text back saying I don't think I can come on with you guys right now So that's what we ended up getting just a few moments ago. So it was a little awkward for us. Comments from listeners. And then also a topic idea that actually our producer came up with that I think is a good one. Busted cheating because you left something behind. What was left behind?

00:45:00 - 00:45:04 | Speaker 7:

That got you busted cheating. Jordan, you want to make a comment on this War of the Roses?

00:45:05 - 00:45:25 | Speaker 5:

I just always, every time I hear this, 95% of the time, the guy's like, it's cut and dry. It's like, oh, he's guilty. I'm just saying, I really hope I'm never on this. Because I think this guy's innocent, but I'm sure someone's going to find something about this.

00:45:25 - 00:45:53 | Speaker 3:

So I get where you're coming from in terms of, like, it could have just been, coincidentally, a very hot girl who was friendly and whatever that dropped off the phone wherever he left it if it wasn't her house. But I wish, and I don't think we're allowed, I wish we could post a screenshot of all of the text messages that we're getting from this one specific number because clearly there is more to the story.

00:45:53 - 00:46:04 | Speaker 1:

They seem to know a lot. I don't know if they're co-workers. I mean, they won't let us clarify anymore. There's a lot of speculation here, but they seem to have great details about what might be a relationship here.

00:46:05 - 00:46:15 | Speaker 5:

And the girl could also be wanting a relationship, and he's pushing back and not wanting back. So this could all be temporary.

00:46:16 - 00:46:34 | Speaker 7:

Here's one way that this all ends. You know, her and Carrie Ann feeling weird about her husband and us speculating. who's the girl? It seemed like they knew each other. That's what the co-worker said. I mean, you know, and his explanation was it was some girl.

00:46:34 - 00:46:40 | Speaker 3:

If you're a waitress at a restaurant that he was at and just happened to leave his phone, exactly.

00:46:40 - 00:46:44 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I mean, just come right out. Mark, comment from you. Mojo in the Morning, War of the Roses.

00:46:47 - 00:46:48 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, you guys there?

00:46:48 - 00:46:49 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, we're here, Mark. Hi, Mark.

00:46:50 - 00:46:59 | Speaker 6:

Hey, what's going on? Good morning. It's almost like he knew what was going on, like he was caught, you know, like he knew who Shannon was.

00:47:22 - 00:47:26 | Speaker 7:

and kind of forced him into, you know, sending the flowers. I mean, he didn't want to.

00:47:26 - 00:47:33 | Speaker 3:

I feel like I steamrolled him and just started asking the questions, which sometimes we have to do because, you know, usually. They might hang up other ones. Exactly.

00:47:33 - 00:47:35 | Speaker 7:

What's going on, Nikki?

00:47:36 - 00:48:05 | Speaker 2:

Hi. Yes, he is definitely cheating and maybe not necessarily a listener of the show, but he was very suspicious and cautious. So he was kind of like, no, I don't want to get involved in that. And then he decided just to play along and might as well send them to my wife so I don't get in trouble. But, yeah, now I'm invested in this saga. People, you know, have to call up and tell us because I want to know. This is so open-ended. We can't leave us hanging like this.

00:48:05 - 00:48:23 | Speaker 7:

I know. I know. We're trying still. We're trying to work on that. The question that I asked was they got busted cheating because they left something behind in this particular one. We don't know if this guy's cheating, but he left his phone behind. What was left behind? Dawn, what's up?

00:48:24 - 00:48:25 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Mojo. Good morning.

00:48:25 - 00:48:27 | Speaker 7:

Good morning. What was left behind?

00:48:27 - 00:48:55 | Speaker 4:

So it wasn't a, like, personal item. About 10 years ago, my ex-husband and I went out to get a pizza. And we're sitting in the car, and I put the pizza, like, on the dashboard. And the pizza, being hot, steamed up the windshield of the car. And in the windshield Somebody had written Which I now know Was his boss's daughter Later on I love you In the window Oh my god Wow My god

00:48:55 - 00:48:56 | Speaker 3:

I would have never seen it

00:48:56 - 00:48:57 | Speaker 1:

Busted by pizza

00:48:57 - 00:49:00 | Speaker 3:

That is an insane story Don He was cheating

00:49:00 - 00:49:04 | Speaker 7:

With his boss's daughter He was How old was the daughter

00:49:04 - 00:49:06 | Speaker 3:

But the fact that some writing On the window Is what did it

00:49:06 - 00:49:09 | Speaker 7:

Yes How old was the boss's daughter

00:49:09 - 00:49:11 | Speaker 4:

We were in our 20s At that time

00:49:11 - 00:49:12 | Speaker 3:

Wow

00:49:12 - 00:49:13 | Speaker 7:

Geez I remember

00:49:13 - 00:49:24 | Speaker 3:

Actually a few weeks ago we had a similar story of somebody who said when she got in the shower, there was writing, remember that? On the shower door. In the fog. And she was like, I know I didn't write that.

00:49:24 - 00:49:25 | Speaker 7:

Harold, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:49:26 - 00:49:32 | Speaker 6:

Hey, good morning, guys. Here's the thing that you guys are missing. The girl who had the phone, how did she know where he worked?

00:49:33 - 00:49:50 | Speaker 7:

Well, that's why we, but here's what we said. That's why he knew her. And that's why he needs to come forward and say who that was. Because you can't just say it's a random person that found your phone and just randomly brought it in it just is it's

00:49:50 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 3:

impossible but again again and by the way i i'm i believe he's cheating i'm just you know to further this story it could be

00:50:00 - 00:50:05 | Speaker 1:

a barista who he talks to all the time and know she happens to know where he works it's up to him

00:50:05 - 00:50:13 | Speaker 4:

to clarify exactly all right thank you yeah it does thank you for the call god that written in

00:50:13 - 00:50:19 | Speaker 1:

the cars that just so happened to steam up the window i mean talk about the perfect storm kp are

00:50:19 - 00:50:39 | Speaker 4:

you making that you got to make that an instagram that that has to go our listeners have to hear that. That was great. That's got to be up on our social because it was just way too interesting to know that that has got every cheater going to Jack's car wash today and having them clean the inside windows. They never clean

00:50:39 - 00:50:43 | Speaker 2:

them right for me. Or they're going to get sushi tonight. Nothing hot.

00:50:43 - 00:50:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, no steamy pizza. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. What you got in this hour's dirty, Shannon? Well, Green Bay

00:50:51 - 00:51:09 | Speaker 1:

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers announced that he intends to play for the New York Jets this season. He made that decision last Friday, said he's not holding up a trade, but that still hasn't been finalized. The two teams and Rodgers remain in contact as they try to work through the final stages of a potential deal.

00:51:10 - 00:51:37 | Speaker 6:

At this point, as I sit here, you know, I think since Friday, I made it clear that my intention was to play and my intention was to play for the New York Jets. You know, like it is what it is. Packers would like to move on. They've let me know that in so many words. They've let other people know that in direct words. And because I still have that fire and I want to play and I would like to play in New York, it's just a matter of getting that done at this point.

00:51:37 - 00:52:08 | Speaker 1:

Said he will always love the Packers organization, but it's clear it is time for a change, adding, I love you, Green Bay. Thank you. I'm as sad as some of you are, but we'll meet again. Now, he also said in that same interview That this notion that he provided the Jets with this wish list of people he wants to play with is ridiculous. He did, however, say the Jets asked him about players he had played with, but he made no demand. Said his only demand was for transparency through the process.

00:52:08 - 00:52:13 | Speaker 4:

You know what's weird about this is how this same thing happened to Brett Favre.

00:52:14 - 00:52:14 | Speaker 5:

Exactly.

00:52:15 - 00:52:30 | Speaker 4:

It's craziness, isn't it, Mike? That organization. And Brett Favre was upset when they drafted Aaron Rodgers. And then he got disgruntled, came back, won a Super Bowl. And then they end up, you know, finally getting rid of him. He goes and plays in Minnesota and New York Jets, right?

00:52:30 - 00:52:34 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, yeah. If he goes to the Vikings, it'll be literally the same story. It's crazy.

00:52:34 - 00:52:43 | Speaker 1:

In other NFL news, real quick, Lions running back Jamal Williams has agreed to join the New Orleans Saints on a three-year $12 million deal.

00:52:43 - 00:52:58 | Speaker 4:

What about this? So, Jamal's leaving. We kind of knew that was going to happen. What about Ezekiel Elliott? Did you see that? Dallas Cowboys, they got rid of Ezekiel Elliott, the Buckeyes running back, you know, former Buckeye running back. He was great for, you know, Dallas. Why did we not go sign him?

00:52:59 - 00:53:26 | Speaker 5:

He's probably a lot of money, if I had to guess. Speaking of money, Jamal Williams owes me money, so I'm glad he's leaving. He came up with a mug, or he said, what did he say? There's all dogs in this mug. And I sent him a story, and I was like, hey, I want this on a cup. Like, you should get this on a coffee cup. He looked at it. I saw that he looked at it. And then months later, he's selling coffee cups with that phrase. Let's sue him. Let's sue him. He owes me money before he leaves.

00:53:27 - 00:53:56 | Speaker 1:

Mint Mobile, which is partly owned by Ryan Reynolds, is being acquired by T-Mobile as part of a cash and stock deal worth around $1.35 billion. So he just made some money. Spike and I were talking about this before the show. Puts his money in all the right places, right? Yesterday, Ryan tweeted, I never dreamt I'd own a wireless company, and I certainly never dreamt I'd sell it to T-Mobile. Life is strange, and I'm incredibly proud and grateful.

00:53:57 - 00:54:01 | Speaker 3:

Ryan, we are so happy to have you and the whole Mint team join the T-Mobile family.

00:54:01 - 00:54:22 | Speaker 2:

Well, I wouldn't call it a family, Mike. Family is a place for misdirected hopes and dreams. I'm hoping this will be much better. I'm certain that I'm finally going to fill whatever hole I have inside my soul, which possesses me to emphasize external success over quieting an inner child, futilely craving some sort of illusory acknowledgement for my now-deceased father. You okay, Ryan? Yeah, just...

00:54:22 - 00:54:37 | Speaker 1:

You okay? Justin Bieber, sharing a video on social media showing fans his progress since being diagnosed with that Ramsey-Hunt syndrome, posted a video to his Instagram story that showed, I think, a dramatic improvement in the mobility of his face.

00:54:37 - 00:54:38 | Speaker 4:

Notice, though, that he can't smile. He's not smiling.

00:54:38 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 1:

So he flashed a smile, but it's like a closed-mouth smile. And if you compare it to where he was, you know, June, it's definitely an improvement. You can see it on the Dirty page at MojoInTheMorning.com, by the way. And lastly, this is very, very important. Don't want wrinkles? I don't think any of us do. Well, listen up.

00:55:00 - 00:55:53 | Speaker 3:

Here are four things experts say you should stop doing right now in order to prevent getting wrinkles. And I literally do all of them. One, sleeping on your side. It's cozy, but while you're sleeping on your side, the skin creates small folds, which can eventually lead to wrinkles along your temples, eyes, your cheek area, and around your mouth, especially on the side that you sleep on. Two, looking at your phone. Looking at that phone for long periods of time causes your eyes to strain, Which will make you squint And eventually lead to some pretty deep wrinkles Around your eyes Three, drinking through a straw Big no-no That pucker motion that you do When you drink through a straw Is similar to the motion of smoking Which leaves straw drinkers With some very similar wrinkles around their lips And four, using hot water when you shower If you are able to brave lukewarm shower I'd rather be wrinkled You might be able to hold on to your looks

00:55:53 - 00:56:09 | Speaker 1:

Your smooth skin a little bit longer I love cold showers, and if you think this sleeping thing was some malarkey, when I went in to get my last round of Botox and fillers, they looked at me and went, you sleep on your left side, don't you? Oh, yeah, they know. They know. Yes, they know. I sleep on my left side, too.

00:56:09 - 00:56:14 | Speaker 3:

I know. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on TheDirtyOnTheMorning.com.

00:56:14 - 00:56:20 | Speaker 6:

Let's go! Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30, and another world-famous phone scan is next.

00:56:41 - 00:56:46 | Speaker 5:

Awesome. Well, you know what? It's persistence that pays, and you got some tickets, so congratulations to you.

But I'm going to be at the Vintage House from noon till about 4, and we're going to be broadcasting live. Sean Strife's going to be there with me, and it's going to be a lot of fun.

You know, it's funny because, did you ever notice how celebrities, and we don't consider ourselves celebrities for this reason, celebrities, when they check into hotels, they always check in under alias names. Well, and they don't never want you to know what their hotel is. Well, we actually tell you our hotel and we're probably under our names.

00:59:54 - 00:59:57 | Speaker 7:

Actually, my room is under Shannon Murphy.

00:59:59 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 5:

So.

01:00:00 - 01:00:05 | Speaker 2:

We have to say hello. So if you'd like to call us in our room, call the front desk.

Hi, I'm good. How are you?

01:00:21 - 01:00:33 | Speaker 2:

Good, Maggie. First off, I got two things to thank you for. Obviously, number one is the fact that you're letting us stay in your beautiful hotel. Number two, the fact that you have to put up with Kate Arnold, one of our sales account executives.

Yes, we love Kate. Thank you.

01:00:37 - 01:00:53 | Speaker 2:

Actually, we do, too. She's our favorite. Thank you for letting us stay at City Flats. And we tell all of our listeners, not just the ones in West Michigan, but, I mean, we got Detroit, Toledo. We got worldwide on the iHeartRadio app. If they ever come to Grand Rapids, why should they stay at City Flats?

01:00:54 - 01:01:12 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, City Flats is a boutique hotel located right in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, so you can't get any closer to the action. We're also locally owned and operated. And we actually just opened another location out in Port Huron. So if you're in Detroit, Port Huron is pretty close, too.

01:01:12 - 01:01:13 | Speaker 2:

And it's called City Flats, too?

01:01:14 - 01:01:16 | Speaker 5:

It sure is. Yep, it's right on the river there.

01:01:16 - 01:01:24 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. Well, you know what? We're going to be hitting you up for some room for that because we broadcast a lot from there. That's a huge listening audience for Mojo in the Morning.

01:02:33 - 01:02:33 | Unknown:

01:02:49 - 01:02:51 | Speaker 5:

Wonderful. Thank you so much. We'll see you soon.

01:02:51 - 01:03:13 | Speaker 2:

All right. Thanks, guys. Appreciate it. All right. Mojo on the morning show, home of the phone scams, the war of the roses, and the dirty on the 30. Megan, speaking of St. Patrick's Day and stuff, we went to Chicago last weekend for St. Patrick's Day. I still feel like, by the way, this might be the longest St. Patrick's Day ever. I don't know if I can ever do this ever again. Are you still tired from last weekend?

01:03:13 - 01:03:31 | Speaker 4:

Dude, last night I fell asleep at like 6 p.m. And the sun was still a-shining. Thank you, Daylight Saving Time. I overslept this morning. Did you? I woke up. Well, okay, we sent in our topics the night before. Anybody notice I sent mine at 5.08? Yes. Woke up at 5.06.

01:03:31 - 01:03:32 | Speaker 3:

I was like, oh, no.

01:03:33 - 01:03:46 | Speaker 2:

You know, I think that's the thing with St. Patrick's Day, too, is the fact that we went and partied. Then we lost that hour of sleep, which I don't think losing the hour was bad. The problem is daylight until, like, 7 o'clock at night is kind of weird, you know?

01:03:46 - 01:03:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and I slept in my jeans, so it's just been a weird day. It's been a very weird day for me.

01:03:51 - 01:03:59 | Speaker 2:

You had something weird happen to you last weekend when you were hanging out at our old producer Ellen's apartment and partying for St. Patrick's Day.

01:03:59 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 4:

Oh, the most embarrassing thing of my entire life happened. So I'm meeting all of Ellen's friends. I knew a few of them, but, like, she had essentially, like, an open house St. Patrick's Day party at her apartment. So doors were open from roughly 11 a.m. until 8 at night. And people were coming and going, and at Ellen's apartment, she has her bathroom, like, off of the living room. So it's essentially in the living room, you go into the bathroom. I had to use the ladies' room, because I am a polite lady who uses the correct terminology, and I had to go to the pout-a-room. The pout-a-room. The pout-a-room. I had to touch myself up. And as I went to the bathroom- She said touch herself up, by the way. Oh, for a second, I thought you said you had to go touch her. Oh, no, no, no, no. It was like powder room. Like, make up. Like, fix your face. I know. I know I'm helping you out there. Appreciate you. Okay, so I go to the bathroom, and as I'm going to pee,

01:05:00 - 01:05:09 | Speaker 5:

The door just swings open. And not like, like, opens, but like, opens. Did that make sense?

01:05:09 - 01:05:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:05:09 - 01:05:12 | Speaker 5:

Yes. Okay, cool. I'm glad my sound effects worked.

01:05:12 - 01:05:13 | Speaker 2:

It's like we were there with you.

01:05:14 - 01:05:22 | Speaker 5:

So it wasn't like, it was just this drunk guy busted into the bathroom. And every, I swear to God, it was like a movie moment.

01:05:22 - 01:05:26 | Speaker 3:

Say that again, because I think I might have the sound for you. Ready? Go.

01:05:26 - 01:05:30 | Speaker 5:

So a drunk guy just busted into the bathroom.

01:05:30 - 01:05:38 | Speaker 3:

Wait. Oh, no, that's not it. I was trying to find the sound effect of the door opening. That's wrong. Go ahead. Okay.

01:05:38 - 01:06:19 | Speaker 5:

And it felt like a movie moment where everybody just got quiet and locked eyes with me as I'm sitting on the toilet because everybody in the living room turned and I looked out the door and just everybody saw me. Hello. And the guy was like, oh, oh, my, oh, my God. And doesn't close the door. Just essentially goes, I can't believe I did this. And I was like, close the door. Close it. And so he closes the door. And I walk back out about 10 minutes later because I didn't want to leave the bathroom at this point. And just a sea of awkward, everybody looks down at the ground eyes when I walk out.

01:06:20 - 01:06:39 | Speaker 3:

Everybody's had that happen to them. Oh, yeah. I mean, come on. Who hasn't? And you have to share yours of the they walked in on me going to the bathroom moment. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. When they walk on you going to the bathroom, the only hope that you have is that your hands are on your knees and you got your phone in your hand.

01:06:39 - 01:06:42 | Speaker 1:

Yes, and your private parts are just actually not exposed.

01:06:42 - 01:06:46 | Speaker 3:

Yes, and you're not in the upright position cleaning yourself. Yes.

01:06:47 - 01:06:48 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

01:06:48 - 01:06:50 | Speaker 3:

That would be the worst. Yes.

01:06:50 - 01:06:57 | Speaker 2:

And if you overreact when they walk in, it looks 10 times worse, too. Like if they open the door and you go, ah, ah.

01:06:57 - 01:07:00 | Speaker 1:

Like you were touching yourself.

01:07:00 - 01:07:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:07:01 - 01:07:01 | Speaker 1:

You know?

01:07:04 - 01:07:17 | Speaker 3:

I've had that happen in stalls here at the radio station. I think I told you that. It was Bushman. Bushman walked in and saw me just sitting there in the toilet because the last stall, that last stall doesn't lock appropriately.

01:07:17 - 01:07:21 | Speaker 1:

That's how our first stall is. But you have to pull it really, really, really hard.

01:07:21 - 01:07:25 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you just got to check the door before you sit your naked ass down. I had to go fast.

01:07:27 - 01:07:54 | Speaker 1:

In my old house, you guys came to my old house. It was this little, old, old, like over 100 years old little craftsman house. And the bathroom was kind of like, it was like right in the middle of the living room. And that would happen because the door handle didn't lock. It would happen all the time if we had people over that somebody always would open the door while I was going to the bathroom. So anybody sitting in the living room or kitchen could just see you going. I mean, it happened multiple times.

01:07:54 - 01:07:57 | Speaker 2:

And it's like you need to put a sign on the door, like a flip sign.

01:07:57 - 01:07:58 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I probably should have done that.

01:07:59 - 01:08:00 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Robin?

01:08:01 - 01:08:38 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I had a good one. It wasn't on me. It was on the boss at a golf course. And I come in to get some stuff from inside. And he's in the bathroom with the door open. And I just walk on by. and I stop and he looks at me and I look at him. My husband's over to the side working on equipment and he starts laughing and I just walk away and start getting things with a smile on my face when the superintendent comes out of the bathroom. He's so embarrassed and red-faced. And he just, for like a week, he just couldn't look at me and I said, do I need to pee with the door open to make me feel better?

01:08:39 - 01:08:59 | Speaker 3:

You know, Robin, golf courses are a tough place because if you don't have a place to pee on the course, what do you do? you find a tree. I've had moments where I, and thank God didn't get caught where I'm peeing on a tree. And then all of a sudden I start hearing people talking and I realized on the opposite side of the tree is a house and people are in the backyard. Oh yeah. Yeah. And you get, you get

01:08:59 - 01:09:37 | Speaker 7:

yourself into trouble doing that. What's up Noel? Yes. So I had a holiday at my house and my dog is really small and I'm used to him doing this, but he I'm hovering over the bathroom because been a lot of people in my house so i'm already hovering over the toilet and i'm peeing and the door comes open and i'm looking i'm like crap crap shut the door shut the door can somebody shut the door somebody can somebody please shut the door and they're like staring at me because my dog opened up the door so your dog a human opens it and the human can grab it real quick Mojo in the morning

01:09:37 - 01:09:38 | Speaker 3:

What's up Jill

01:09:38 - 01:09:41 | Speaker 4:

Hey how are you guys

01:09:41 - 01:09:44 | Speaker 3:

Good I was at a tanning booth

01:09:44 - 01:09:58 | Speaker 4:

I was at a tanning booth And my session was over And I just lifted the bed lid up And I was just laying there just for a second Like I always did And the door opens And it was a guy

01:09:58 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 8:

I was like oh my god

01:10:00 - 01:10:06 | Speaker 4:

He shut the door right away, and I was like, I know I locked that door, but maybe the lock didn't work, but yeah.

01:10:06 - 01:10:14 | Speaker 3:

Oh, jeez. Yeah, tanning booths are just like toilets where you, you know, can get walked in on. This is embarrassing. Erin, are you there?

01:10:16 - 01:10:16 | Speaker 6:

Yes.

01:10:16 - 01:10:20 | Speaker 3:

Erin's a school teacher, and who walked in on you?

01:10:21 - 01:10:46 | Speaker 5:

One of my students. I teach kindergarten, and it was lunchtime, so, like, no one was in the room. But some of the fifth graders will take them back to the room if they need to use the bathroom or if they forget something. So I'm just in the bathroom. And I'm not going to lie, I was not peeing. I was doing other things. When she says that, it could be dirty.

01:10:46 - 01:10:47 | Speaker 3:

I know.

01:10:47 - 01:10:48 | Speaker 1:

Dirty!

01:10:48 - 01:10:49 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, yeah.

01:10:49 - 01:10:50 | Speaker 3:

We gotcha. Poor kid.

01:10:51 - 01:11:05 | Speaker 5:

Megan and I do it, too. Make a duty. Basically it was a girl And she just felt so awkward But I felt even more awkward And I couldn't look at her for the rest of the day

01:11:05 - 01:11:10 | Speaker 3:

Did you have to say get away get away get away Or did she automatically just get away when she noticed

01:11:10 - 01:11:17 | Speaker 5:

That's the sad part Because she opened it and shut it So I feel like I traumatized her Poor kid

01:11:17 - 01:11:23 | Speaker 3:

Not as bad though as Melissa Where were you at Melissa When somebody walked in on you

01:11:23 - 01:11:41 | Speaker 6:

I was at a truck stop We were on our way to a high state game in Indiana, and you know, as ladies, it's that special time of the month, and I'm in the process of pulling it out.

01:11:42 - 01:11:43 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no.

01:11:45 - 01:11:47 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, yeah. The door flies open?

01:11:48 - 01:11:49 | Speaker 2:

Who spotted you?

01:11:50 - 01:12:08 | Speaker 6:

It was a lady. It was a lady. Thank God. Yeah, yeah. Thank God I wasn't in a trucker. right yeah i know yeah i was about to say something but yeah yeah i was i was traumatized she was traumatized and i was like oh my god so yeah could you imagine a big dude on a flannel

01:12:08 - 01:12:19 | Speaker 3:

because all truckers wear flannels even in the summertime they wear flannels uh yes yes thank you for the call tim says that he's got a way megan this is perfect for you so next time you're over

01:12:19 - 01:12:25 | Speaker 4:

you know visiting ellen next time we're planning on a next time tim what should you do so that

01:12:25 - 01:12:34 | Speaker 2:

nobody walks in on you make noises like grunt the cough the cough is imperative yeah so do you do

01:12:34 - 01:13:04 | Speaker 3:

that a lot like if you're in a place like you know having a party or something like that just make sure everybody knows that this is occupied oh absolutely yeah the word occupied is my favorite by the way when people scream out occupied when you're in the bathroom and somebody walks in on What would be worse To have somebody walk in on you That you knew or you were at a party with Like Megan Or how about be sitting In a porta potty Like Judith here

01:13:04 - 01:13:18 | Speaker 4:

Oh my gosh So I actually walked in on someone And she started freaking out And I'm like oh sorry sorry I closed the door But then like she was yelling at her boyfriend Because apparently her boyfriend should have been watching out And I was like

01:13:18 - 01:13:27 | Speaker 6:

he failed he was just he's like oh i just wandered off sorry i'm telling you i don't

01:13:27 - 01:13:53 | Speaker 3:

know how many porta potties in my time of doing travel sports with my kids i've had to go duty in or pp in and i've always been embarrassed and i sit there and i like it's the most awkward going to the bathroom you know what's so loud everything echoes and you really got to go if you've got to go number two in one of those because nobody wants to go number that in an airplane are the two places you don't want to to go can you imagine being on an airplane and somebody walking in on

01:13:53 - 01:14:02 | Speaker 2:

you and then leaving the door open and we've heard stories of that happening because those doors also built 22 years ago on some of those planes and the latches just don't work why do you try why

01:14:02 - 01:14:07 | Speaker 3:

do you say that the latches don't work there but you say in our bathroom here our bathroom works

01:14:07 - 01:14:17 | Speaker 2:

i'm telling you that last stall using this bathroom for 20 years and i've never been walked in on but yet every time i go in there you or bushman i open the door because i think it's

01:14:17 - 01:14:22 | Speaker 3:

empty and you're sitting on the potty so you and you tell me in the 20 years how much stuff around

01:14:22 - 01:14:28 | Speaker 2:

here actually works well in the studio none of it but the toilet it does uh all right all right

01:14:28 - 01:14:55 | Speaker 3:

01:15:00 - 01:15:01 | Speaker 1:

Phone Scans. Mojo in the Morning.

01:15:04 - 01:15:08 | Speaker 3:

Hello? Hi, twerking hard or hardly twerking? Is this John?

01:15:09 - 01:15:10 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, this is John.

01:15:10 - 01:15:22 | Speaker 3:

Hi, John. Smiley Wills. Real name. Honest to goodness, so please don't hurt my feelings by making a joke about it. I'm calling from... Okay. Have you ever heard of the Fenton Family Forever Fun Fest?

01:15:24 - 01:15:25 | Speaker 5:

I don't think so, no.

01:15:25 - 01:15:46 | Speaker 3:

Okay, well, here's the thing. There's this children's entertainer convention going on. and it's at our hotel the same time that you have your reservation. I mean, you should see these people walking around like clowns, mascots, balloon animal artists, magicians. You know, this weekend's going to be a blast. Anyway, there was a computer error, and they should not have offered you rooms this weekend because all of our rooms have been booked.

01:15:48 - 01:15:49 | Speaker 5:

What do you mean by that?

01:15:49 - 01:15:53 | Speaker 3:

We can't honor your reservation, so we just need to make some different accommodations.

01:15:54 - 01:16:04 | Speaker 5:

Well, no, that's not, that doesn't work. I booked nine rooms because I have a whole bunch of kids and chaperones and everything going in for this tournament this weekend.

01:16:04 - 01:16:11 | Speaker 3:

Right. Weekdays are much better here. We have a continental breakfast with a free breakfast pizza. Can I move your reservation to the weekday of your choice?

01:16:11 - 01:16:18 | Speaker 5:

No, that doesn't work because the tournament's on the weekend. I reserve those dates specifically because that's when the tournament happens.

01:16:18 - 01:16:25 | Speaker 3:

Oh, a tournament. Oh, I love games. Well, maybe what I could do is I could find you a room at one of our partner hotels down the street.

01:16:25 - 01:16:36 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no, no. I booked my rooms there. And it's right next to the field where we're going to be playing. That's, you know, I have a confirmation saying that those are the rooms I get. So I want those rooms.

01:16:36 - 01:16:38 | Speaker 3:

Yes, but they never should have sent you that confirmation. Yeah.

01:16:39 - 01:16:41 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, well, you know, that's not my fault.

01:16:41 - 01:16:48 | Speaker 3:

Well, maybe I can find you in a room right across the street, our sister hotel, because that's close. How many rooms do you need?

01:16:49 - 01:16:52 | Speaker 5:

No, I need nine rooms, and I need it in that building.

01:16:52 - 01:17:05 | Speaker 3:

Nine rooms? Yeah. Well, see, but I told you about the thing going on here, the Fenton Family Forever Fun Fest. And then across the street, they have the Indoor Plant Horticulturist and Midwest Cactus Society. So I don't think we're going to be able to do anything for you.

01:17:06 - 01:17:10 | Speaker 5:

I want the room that I reserved two months ago. I have a confirmation email.

01:17:10 - 01:17:19 | Speaker 3:

But listen to me, Sugar Donut. A reservation isn't a reservation if there's no room. Now, I want to help your little rugrats. How many rooms do you really need? Can we squeeze everybody into four rooms?

01:17:20 - 01:17:27 | Speaker 5:

No, there's no way. We're already squeezing everybody into nine rooms. We would all be on top of each other if it was four rooms.

01:17:27 - 01:17:32 | Speaker 3:

Oh, there is no way I'm going to be able to live up to your potential today. Okay, how about this?

01:17:32 - 01:17:41 | Speaker 4:

Who can I talk to? Who can I talk to? Well, you could talk to me. Two months. It's been two months that I've confirmed these rooms, that I've had these rooms reserved.

01:17:41 - 01:17:44 | Speaker 3:

Can you hang on a second? Yeah.

01:17:47 - 01:17:52 | Speaker 5:

I can't believe this. I mean

01:17:52 - 01:18:05 | Speaker 3:

Hello, sir? Yeah We're out of luck, I'm sorry What do you mean I'm out of luck? Well, you can lead a horse to water, but I can't believe it's not butter

01:18:05 - 01:18:23 | Speaker 5:

Do you understand the power of a bad review? I am a social media master I will get on Twitter, I will get on Yelp I will get on TripAdvisor I will get on every single website, and I will make sure that that burns down to the ground unless you give me those rooms.

01:18:24 - 01:18:33 | Speaker 3:

Social media, master? That's a thing? Yeah, it's a thing. Give me the manager to your hotel, please. Well, I am the manager on duty, sir. I'm sorry.

01:18:34 - 01:18:37 | Speaker 5:

All right, well, then I want the number to your corporate office.

01:18:37 - 01:18:42 | Speaker 3:

Oh, listen, have a root beer and take a seat. You're going to give yourself guest bubbles getting all upset like that.

01:18:42 - 01:18:49 | Speaker 5:

This is so f***ing Un-f***ing-believable Incredibly un-f***ing-professional F***

01:19:09 - 01:19:11 | Speaker 5:

01:19:11 - 01:19:26 | Speaker 1:

We will, we will scam you You've been phone scammed It's Mojo in the Morning's world famous phone scams

01:19:26 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning commercial free right now it's good to have you guys here with us um yesterday i was uh at top golf which i haven't been to in a while mike and i know you're a big fan of top golf but i want you to do this for me okay i want you to put down in your calendar

01:20:00 - 01:20:03 | Speaker 3:

420 for other reasons than what you would normally put it down for.

01:20:05 - 01:20:06 | Speaker 4:

You'd be on the green either way, right?

01:20:06 - 01:21:12 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you know what? That actually was a pretty good one there, Mike. I like that. Put down 420, and if you would like to help out me raising money with our friends from the Oakland County Sheriff's Department, the PAL program. Years ago, I don't know how many it was, Oakland County took over the city of Pontiac because there was so much going on there there was you know bad stuff happening and a lot of people um you know were at risk of crime and they've done a great job of patrolling the streets of pontiac well they also took over when they noticed that they did this that there was no place for kids in pontiac to be able to go have a little league or to play sports so they also did their police athletic league the pal program and they did it from scratch raising money by doing events like what we're going to do which is it's the mojo in the morning um golf tournament which they came up with a name for it because we're doing it at top golf and spike i know that you are i excel at

01:21:12 - 01:21:18 | Speaker 2:

an excellent top golfer don't ask me to swing a club anywhere outside of top golf but that's the

01:21:18 - 01:21:32 | Speaker 3:

one place i do well so um so we're having it on 420 and if you want information on it we posted a picture from top golf yesterday with a link that you can actually purchase to get in by the

01:21:32 - 01:21:43 | Speaker 2:

way the name of the event is everything do you like it you guys really went over the top with mojo's top golf classic hackers and whackers yeah mandy came up with that one that was that was her

01:21:43 - 01:22:20 | Speaker 3:

idea so and honestly i do need like sponsors too for this so i need players we definitely need players but if you're somebody that would like to maybe sponsor and help out these kids um you can actually become a big sponsor of this thing yesterday i was driving and actually uh shannon and spike and everybody on the show you guys know them yesterday i'm driving to it and i'm driving going you know out and i get a phone call from ryan and samantha lash oh i love them And they said, what are you doing right now? I told them, I'm going to Topgolf. Oh, my God, that's so fun. I go, well, I'm going there for a reason. We're doing this thing. And they ended up donating to it.

01:22:21 - 01:22:23 | Speaker 1:

Honestly, they are one of the most generous families I've ever met. Unreal.

01:22:25 - 01:23:30 | Speaker 3:

Starting costs to be part of this thing, because the money goes to the PAL program, is $100. But we want to put teams together. So if you can get a bunch of people together, again, it's happening on 420. So what a perfect day. explaining that to Sheriff Bouchard that we're having it on 420 actually you know who the biggest contributors are and if you are one of these people I'll take your money the people who own dispensaries if you own a dispensary and you want to give back and you want to have the sheriff actually like you donate to our PAL program go to our Instagram or Facebook you'll see the picture again from Topgolf and you'll see the link on there or you can go to the website SheriffPal.com Alright, Mojo in the morning Mike You went yesterday To go get some business done Some things done And this is the topic that Mike's going to bring up You should never go To these jobs When the person is mad

01:23:30 - 01:24:33 | Speaker 4:

Because where were you yesterday? So I walked into the There's an eyebrow place right by Woodland Mall That I always go to and I genuinely don't even know the name of it I just know where it is and i walk in and in there i can hear yelling in the back i can't see anybody um but i can hear yelling and then i think the door makes a bell when i walk in we must make a bell in the back and this lady walks out my eyebrow lady walks out and they were screaming at each other just before that you could tell she's visibly upset and she just points to the chair and almost grunts and so like basically sit down and i'm like oh no she's already aggressive enough with my eyebrows Like she does a great job, but it's like maybe I'm a baby when it comes to this, but she's already a little aggressive. And so she sits, I sit in that chair and I'm thinking the whole time she's going to get really, really bad. And she does. She's pushing my head around and pulling my, pull your eyelids down, pull your eyelids down and threading my eyebrows. And it was over the top aggressive. And I'm like, you cannot be mad at this job. You have to be calm.

01:24:33 - 01:24:38 | Speaker 2:

I would walk out and reschedule that appointment. Like you're having a bad day. I'm going to come see you another time.

01:24:39 - 01:24:46 | Speaker 4:

Don't you feel like there's other places though where you're like, if you walk in and they're upset, they're that visibly upset. You're like, no, no hairstylist. Oh, really? Like, do not,

01:24:46 - 01:24:56 | Speaker 1:

do not touch my hair. If, if, if you are not of, what do they call it? Sound mind and body. Yeah. Do not touch my hair, Kelly. Well, the dentist is like that for me.

01:24:56 - 01:25:09 | Speaker 2:

I always, as soon as I walk in, I always ask you. doctor half go like how's your day how's that how's your husband how's everything going yeah make sure she's happy before she gets the drill out or the dentist

01:25:09 - 01:25:29 | Speaker 3:

Shannon go back to yours for a second you ever go and get your hair done and I'm not calling out Kelly or I'm calling out not calling out Katrina but you ever because I've had this with other people and you go in to get your hair done and the person goes my boyfriend broke up with me yesterday i'm like there ain't no way i'll reschedule i'll be back next week here let me

01:25:29 - 01:25:34 | Speaker 5:

give you a tip for the time i want you in the best mood i want you to be rushed have you ever

01:25:34 - 01:25:39 | Speaker 3:

had a haircut done by a girl that just got broken up by her boyfriend you can see a couple of those

01:26:49 - 01:27:04 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. It's just awful. You're just a baby. The things we do to try to look beautiful. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-654-8-TECTS, 95500. People are texting in massage therapist is a good one.

01:27:05 - 01:27:07 | Speaker 4:

Maybe a little anger, though, with that. I don't mind a little anger.

01:27:08 - 01:27:14 | Speaker 3:

Your eye doctor, when you go to the eye doctor, that's a good one around your eyes. We talked about that yesterday with the poof test.

01:27:14 - 01:27:16 | Speaker 5:

I hate that poof test.

01:27:16 - 01:27:21 | Speaker 3:

I hate it. The nail techs are another one, too. Nail techs.

01:27:21 - 01:27:22 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, aggressive filing.

01:27:24 - 01:27:30 | Speaker 3:

Somebody said, don't ever take your pet to a pet groomer that's having a bad day. I never thought about that.

01:27:30 - 01:27:36 | Speaker 2:

Uber drivers scare me when they're angry on the road. Oh, yes. I'm always like, whoa, whoa, I want to get there alive.

01:27:37 - 01:27:52 | Speaker 3:

Ashley, what happened to you? Oh, we lost Ashley. Ashley said that she went to an eyebrow lady. She's going to tell us a story about going to her and when she was having a bad day and what happened to her eyebrow. I think she's only got one now.

01:27:55 - 01:28:05 | Speaker 4:

I mean, to be fair, they look, I mean, they don't look, I don't know if they look great or not, but I think they look good. You know what I mean? I think she did a great job. Yeah. Let's see a little photo. You want to see how it's in? Yeah.

01:28:05 - 01:28:07 | Speaker 3:

Show it off, Mike.

01:28:07 - 01:28:07 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, come on.

01:28:07 - 01:28:11 | Speaker 1:

Are you taking a selfie right now?

01:28:12 - 01:28:15 | Speaker 2:

Do you want to get them all pretty before the big party this weekend?

01:28:15 - 01:28:16 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, was that it?

01:28:16 - 01:28:17 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the morning, hello.

01:28:18 - 01:28:20 | Speaker 1:

Hi, I'm coming up with a topic.

01:28:20 - 01:28:21 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

01:28:22 - 01:28:24 | Speaker 1:

I would say a tattoo artist.

01:28:25 - 01:28:26 | Speaker 3:

Oh, jeez.

01:28:26 - 01:28:29 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's a good one. Yeah.

01:28:30 - 01:28:32 | Speaker 3:

And were they having a bad day?

01:28:32 - 01:28:39 | Speaker 1:

So it wasn't me personally But I would say I would not want to go to one If they were having a bad day

01:28:39 - 01:28:42 | Speaker 3:

Yeah that would That would be a bad Thing for you to do

01:28:42 - 01:28:45 | Speaker 1:

Experience Yeah They're writing

01:28:45 - 01:28:51 | Speaker 3:

Hold on They're writing F U C Ah

01:28:51 - 01:28:58 | Speaker 1:

Oh my Very The picture just came through Very nice Sexy man Very nicely shaped Look at that He's blowing us a kiss in it

01:28:58 - 01:29:01 | Speaker 3:

Holly what's up

01:29:01 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 1:

okay i'm gonna tell you guys the most bizarre story so i'm a natural redhead and everywhere i go i get looks anyway okay and um at the time i was living in mid michigan so i was around the lansing charlotte area and um the very next day we had a big huge like event that was going on at mis so mich it was the um nascar race right yeah and so i went into this little shop um to get my hair cut and i'm very very particular about who cuts my hair so i really needed my haircut because we may be on camera blah blah blah so i go to this little hair shop and this this woman lets me sit down she starts like brushing my hair starts cutting my hair i tell her what i want all of a sudden she she grabs my shoulders and tells me that my parents have been lying to me my whole life that i'm really adopted that that i am her brother's half sister where they've been trying to find me for the last 20 years.

01:30:00 - 01:30:03 | Speaker 2:

Literally losing her mind. Wow. That really happened.

01:30:03 - 01:30:04 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

01:30:04 - 01:30:18 | Speaker 2:

Then, so my hair was probably down to, like, way, way past the back of my shoulders. She probably cut, like, six inches out the center of my hair. Oh, my gosh. And I had to actually escort her out of the hair.

01:30:18 - 01:30:19 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

01:30:19 - 01:30:21 | Speaker 2:

Literally losing her mind.

01:30:21 - 01:30:24 | Speaker 3:

So she snapped. That's really scary, by the way.

01:30:24 - 01:30:30 | Speaker 4:

So, but when she had this little freak out at the beginning of the appointment, you still sat there and got your hair cut?

01:30:31 - 01:30:42 | Speaker 2:

I didn't realize that she was hacking the back of my hair. Oh, my gosh. This is really bizarre. Dude, it was bad. Like, I had to get, like, a pixie cut type of thing. Oh, wow.

01:30:42 - 01:30:53 | Speaker 1:

Could you imagine that, having a breakdown at that moment? This is one that I would not want to go to. Greg, what occupation do you not want to go to when that person is mad?

01:30:54 - 01:31:01 | Speaker 6:

Good morning, Craig the Trucker. Hey. For all you men, would you like to go to your doctor for a prostate exam when he's having a prostate?

01:31:04 - 01:31:07 | Speaker 4:

That would be a bad one. Yeah, don't take your anger out on me.

01:31:07 - 01:31:10 | Speaker 1:

I heard, Laura, this is another one, too. Where would you not want to go?

01:31:11 - 01:31:18 | Speaker 7:

A urologist. I work at a urologist. So if the doctors are having a bad day or we're having a bad day, it's rough.

01:31:19 - 01:31:37 | Speaker 1:

Listen, I'm telling you, I butter up my urologist. I always sit there and I tell them as a Mitch Hollander, you are the cutest man in the world as you're about to touch my privates. Have you ever had any of the doctors get into it, have like a really bad day and you had to like, oh, they're going to see customer patients?

01:31:37 - 01:31:46 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I've had it a few times and I've had to go in and do like the, you know, the whatever they were doing to take over because they're like, I can't do it.

01:31:46 - 01:32:03 | Speaker 4:

Did you guys see the story yesterday about the SkyWest Airlines, the fight between two flight attendants? Yeah. It ended up with both of them leaving the plane and they had to call a new flight crew in. I mean, they had to ground it and get everybody in there because it was a whole delay because the two flight, a male and a female flight attendant were fighting with each other.

01:32:03 - 01:32:38 | Speaker 1:

So the story is that there was a person sitting up in first class, and that person was going to give up their seat to the person sitting next to them's spouse who was in the back of the plane so that they could sit together. Very nice, by the way. Yeah, that's awesome. That guy's going to give up his seat and go back to coach. One of the flight attendants, a guy was like okay with it. He said, that's cool. That's really nice of you to do that. The female flight attendant said, that's against our company policy. You can't do that. And then the two flight attendants got into a screaming match argument that caused the plane to be delayed by two hours.

01:32:39 - 01:32:40 | Speaker 3:

I would be so mad.

01:32:41 - 01:32:43 | Speaker 4:

Right? And the woman was crying.

01:32:43 - 01:32:44 | Speaker 3:

Over a nice gesture.

01:32:44 - 01:32:57 | Speaker 4:

And she said, I'm not flying with him. I'm not working on this crew. The pilots came out and started to talk to both of them separately, trying to convince both of them to just get on with the flight. And couldn't continue. They had to call in a whole new crew.

01:32:58 - 01:33:03 | Speaker 1:

Now, I'm okay if they are having a bad day. I just don't want the pilots to have a bad day.

01:33:03 - 01:33:03 | Speaker 5:

Right.

01:33:04 - 01:35:30 | Speaker 1:

Do you ever know that Raina, our good friend that's a yoga instructor, Raina walks into the cockpit and always asks the pilots, how are they doing? How is their relationship with their spouse? Like she wants to feel them out to make sure that the night before they didn't get into an argument with their spouse. All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. You're going to want to stick around for the War of the Roses. Matter of fact, if you don't have time, go listen to it now. You can actually hear the War of the Roses from this morning. It's on our podcast. It's up and available. Do you think this husband was cheating? And if you want to stick listening to the show, maybe you're listening live and you don't want to go to the podcast, we'll have it for you again at 9 o'clock like the voice guy just said. Okay, home of the phone scams, the war of the roses, and the dirty end of 30. This is the mojo in the morning show. I don't think it's unusual to say this, but the greatest thing that could ever happen to a parent is when your child gets their driver's license and can drive you as your designated driver. It's one of the greatest moments ever as a parent because you now have somebody that can drive when you've had a couple pops. I always wanted to say that. Whenever I go out and a friend of mine is like a tough guy and he has drinks, he calls them pops. I always go, God, I just don't know if I can pull that off. So Chelsea and I go to this restaurant that's right by our house called Lakes Grill. And we love going up there. And they do heavy pours and drinks. They're amazing. and we'll go up there, but we have to make sure Luke comes with us to dinner so that he's our designated driver. And it was funny because we were trying to figure out where he was yesterday. He has golf. He's on the golf team. And so he was trying to tell us where he was. And we were like, we want to go out, but our driver is not here to take us and we want to drink. And it got me having a conversation with Chelsea about the fact that we're going to lose that designated driver when he goes off to college like it's gonna suck what are we gonna do he's your free uber our uber costs are gonna go through the roof at that particular moment um Did I ever tell you guys this about a friend of mine? And I'm going to throw this out there as a topic here. Your kid-designated driver, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Were you ever the kid that had to drive for your parents and you didn't even have a driver's license because your parents were drunk? A friend of mine, when we were younger, he was 14 years old and his mom and dad and the whole family went out. and he had to drive home because his parents, this was before Uber was around.

01:35:30 - 01:35:32 | Speaker 2:

So he probably had a permit.

01:35:32 - 01:35:33 | Speaker 1:

No, he was only 14.

01:35:33 - 01:35:38 | Speaker 2:

Okay, because he had to be 14 in nine months or something. Something like that, yeah. Whatever.

01:35:38 - 01:36:41 | Speaker 1:

And do you know the rules about this? And if you don't, I'm going to give them to you right now. Anybody ever let their child who has a learner's permit drive because you were drinking? Do you know that in almost every single state, it is actually against the law to do that that you are still considered the driver of that vehicle okay and so if you get pulled over they get pulled over they do something that you know causes any issues they're gonna breathalyze test oh i kind of assume that right because they're not licensed yet you're supposed to be in charge but you know how many people i know oh for sure have done that when i say i know yeah i'm pointing to myself right right you know because you're like you know you just drive and we're only a couple blocks from home you know what i mean um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is the telephone number um do you ever do that with your kids do you ever like have like a natalie or nicole drive because you've had a drink or two no i don't i don't get drunk when

01:36:41 - 01:37:03 | Speaker 5:

i go out to bars and stuff i just have like a beer with dinner and i tend to get drunk at either house parties in my own home or tailgating see i gotta be honest i don't like to drive if i had one drink i feel so worried about that well i'm just i don't have a liquor i'm just having one beer with with a meal right you're sitting there for two hours that you can easily have a beer and

01:37:03 - 01:37:19 | Speaker 1:

it doesn't even register do you you know i heard a story this morning on the news about these people that have a medical condition especially if you're diabetic you have this you have a medical condition where you have not had alcohol, yet you test over the limit alcohol-wise.

01:37:19 - 01:37:20 | Speaker 2:

From what?

01:37:20 - 01:37:22 | Speaker 1:

Because of your-

01:37:22 - 01:37:23 | Speaker 2:

Like medication or something that you're taking for?

01:37:23 - 01:37:37 | Speaker 1:

The way that your blood sugar is. So you have a natural alcohol that is produced in your body, and there are these people. I'll have to find the story for you. Because when I saw it, I was like, this is crazy. But the story is that-

01:37:37 - 01:37:40 | Speaker 5:

You know what they call it? Auto brewery syndrome.

01:37:40 - 01:37:40 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:37:41 - 01:37:41 | Speaker 2:

For real?

01:37:41 - 01:37:49 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Yeah, it's very rare, very rare condition, and most people can get diagnosed with it. So you can't just use that as an excuse if you get pulled over.

01:37:49 - 01:38:07 | Speaker 1:

But there are people, though, that have blown over the limit, and yet they've not had any alcohol. And they've had to, like, go to a doctor to ask the doctor, you know, to testify for them because they were going to, you know, get a DUI for that.

01:38:07 - 01:38:08 | Speaker 2:

That's crazy.

01:38:08 - 01:38:14 | Speaker 1:

Isn't that nuts? Yeah, I'll get that for you coming up here in a second. First off, Mojo in the Morning Show. What's going on, Andrea?

01:38:15 - 01:38:39 | Speaker 3:

Hi. So I was just calling referring to driving, you know, parents around when you don't have a license. And I grew up in the country, and this was a pretty normal thing for my parents to, you know, make me drive home from friends' house and stuff. You know, after we had hung out there and they had drank a little bit too much, it wasn't, you know, out of the ordinary for them to drive home.

01:38:39 - 01:38:44 | Speaker 1:

I think when we were younger, and I also lived in, like, a rural area, I think that that happened all the time.

01:38:45 - 01:38:50 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that so scary, though, as a parent now myself? Like, I would never. I would never.

01:38:50 - 01:38:58 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. And honestly, I would probably also not, you know, not trust my child if I've really been drinking that much.

01:38:59 - 01:39:01 | Speaker 3:

Not a chance. Not a chance. I'm a great driver now, though.

01:39:02 - 01:39:11 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I thank God, by the way, for the fact that we do have Lyft and Uber. What's going on, Mojo in the Morning? How are you doing there, Jessica?

01:39:12 - 01:39:22 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Hey. When I was like 17, my papa, my grandpa, he would call me from the strip club and have me come pick him up because he was too drunk to drive.

01:39:23 - 01:39:27 | Speaker 1:

Your papa had you pick him up at the strip club?

01:39:27 - 01:39:31 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, he used to go to Atlantis in Lincoln Park. Oh, wow.

01:39:32 - 01:39:34 | Speaker 1:

Is that not the greatest ever?

01:39:34 - 01:39:35 | Speaker 5:

What did your mama think of that?

01:39:37 - 01:39:38 | Speaker 4:

She was already past.

01:39:38 - 01:39:49 | Speaker 1:

oh okay yeah no questions asked though right you could you didn't you didn't talk to him much about what he was how his evening was or was he a talkative guy when he got in the car oh he

01:39:49 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 4:

would always tell me that he gave all these strippers so much money and he had to go home and get in his drawer and get some more to give me gas money oh my and how old were you at the time

01:39:59 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 1:

of this app.

01:40:00 - 01:40:11 | Speaker 7:

happened 17 oh my god isn't that crazy i had just got my license because i didn't get my license until i was 17 so as soon as i got my license he would call me and ask me to come and get him like

01:40:11 - 01:40:15 | Speaker 9:

at least at least a couple times a month wow mojo in the morning what's up chelsea

01:40:15 - 01:40:37 | Speaker 7:

morning so when i was 15 um my stepmom got a call from the casino my dad had gone to the casino MGM, and he got so drunk that they were like, you need to come get him. You've got to pick him up. We're going to kick him out. So I went with her, and I had to drive him and his car home. And I was 15. I didn't have a license.

01:40:39 - 01:40:44 | Speaker 9:

And was dad, besides being drunk, was he also a big loser at the casino that night?

01:40:45 - 01:40:46 | Speaker 7:

I think so.

01:40:46 - 01:40:48 | Speaker 9:

That had to be a bad

01:40:48 - 01:40:52 | Speaker 7:

drive home. Yeah, he's on the do not return list.

01:40:52 - 01:40:53 | Speaker 6:

Oh, man.

01:40:53 - 01:40:59 | Speaker 9:

Listen to this one. Dakota drove her dad. And how old were you?

01:41:00 - 01:41:05 | Speaker 8:

I was the age of nine or ten years old. Oh, my goodness. We were from the country as well.

01:41:05 - 01:41:08 | Speaker 1:

We hear these stories, and it always starts with, I lived out in the country.

01:41:09 - 01:41:52 | Speaker 8:

It was, though. I mean, that's where I grew up, unfortunately. You know, I live in the city now, and you can't. I agree with the last mom. You know, I would never let my kids do that. I'm not a big drinker myself, so, you know, that taught me to, you know, not drink. What was the situation? um my dad and my grandfather always loved to go out and drink with you know all the family members and stuff and it was just a big thing you know um and the guys it was also like you know the strip club unfortunately oh my god it was within region though you know that was i guess their best thing back then was that you know everything was close together and it was always oh we just live around the block or it's just two blocks it'll be okay this is good practice for you when you turn the

01:41:52 - 01:42:06 | Speaker 9:

age to actually drive. Wow. Here's that story that Spike and I were telling you about, about how you can be drunk, but yet you didn't have any alcohol. Take a listen. In 2006, Mark Monjardo had it all.

01:42:07 - 01:42:11 | Speaker 3:

He was a teacher and a coach at a high school in New Jersey. I was brought into my athletic

01:42:11 - 01:42:16 | Speaker 4:

director's office. That was the first time that somebody said that they had smelled alcohol on me.

01:42:16 - 01:42:27 | Speaker 3:

Monjardo says he hadn't been drinking on the job. I would never do that. I'm a teacher. but administrators kept getting complaints that he smelled of alcohol during the school day that

01:42:27 - 01:42:34 | Speaker 4:

I had a meeting and I was I was forced to to take a take a blood test and a breath test and I had

01:42:34 - 01:42:41 | Speaker 3:

alcohol in my system I had no idea the father of two lost his job and his teaching license my

01:42:41 - 01:42:50 | Speaker 4:

mother started researching you know she she actually just googled can your body create alcohol and autobrewery syndrome popped up.

01:42:50 - 01:43:14 | Speaker 3:

Autobrewery syndrome or ABS is a rare condition in which the body makes alcohol. Patients with the syndrome have high levels of yeast and fungus in their guts. When they eat carbohydrates, their body makes alcohol. Dr. Prasana Wickrem Asingha on Staten Island is one of the few doctors who's been studying the syndrome and treats patients all over the world.

01:43:14 - 01:43:17 | Speaker 2:

I personally have nearly 30 cases now.

01:43:17 - 01:43:49 | Speaker 3:

Including Monjardo, who now lives in Florida. He also treated Donato Giannato of Old Bridge Township. Giannato died in 2020, but his wife says he suffered with ABS for years. After dinner, he would start slurring his speech. And I kept saying to his doctors, I don't know, he kind of looks like he's drunk. Dr. Wick Remes-Singha tested Janato, as he does with all his patients, in a controlled hospital environment. The patient drinks a sugary liquid, and then their blood is tested for alcohol.

01:43:49 - 01:43:54 | Speaker 2:

I've seen them go three times the DWI level in two hours. What?

01:43:54 - 01:44:06 | Speaker 3:

Ray Lewis of Oregon didn't know he had ABS until he was slapped with drunk driving charges. After crashing a tanker, he was driving at work. The judge said under the law, Lewis still had to be charged.

01:44:06 - 01:44:12 | Speaker 5:

Being charged with a crime for having a rare medical disease is just bizarre.

01:44:13 - 01:44:37 | Speaker 3:

Dr. Wick Remes-Singha says he believes antibiotics are a trigger of autobrewery syndrome. He says he uses antifungals to treat ABS, and people who have ABS have to pay very close attention to their diets. The doctor is now working on releasing a large study about ABS because he wants to raise awareness within the medical community of the syndrome. That is crazy.

01:44:37 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 9:

By the way, interesting story for anybody that does the weight loss of Ozempic and Magorno and all that stuff. They say that people who have that have to be careful because if you have alcohol, you could one drink be over the legal limit because of your blood and what it does for you. because it's a diabetic medication. Look what I bought for tomorrow.

01:45:00 - 01:45:05 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you got the alcohol. I got the breathalyzer.

01:45:05 - 01:45:06 | Speaker 5:

The breathalyzer.

01:45:06 - 01:45:07 | Speaker 3:

I couldn't think of the word because I'm drinking already.

01:45:08 - 01:45:09 | Speaker 2:

You really did buy it. I did.

01:45:09 - 01:45:11 | Speaker 3:

I bought it because, you know, every year we always like say the show.

01:45:11 - 01:45:23 | Speaker 5:

We want to raise awareness. We used to ask the officers to come by and breathalyze the show just to give people an idea of why they shouldn't drive home. Well, after a while, some of them got nervous about liability and stuff, doing that in the bar.

01:45:23 - 01:45:30 | Speaker 3:

So we're going to breathalyze test tomorrow, and then we're going to have listeners on the air guess where we're at.

01:45:53 - 01:45:58 | Speaker 6:

Keep my family safe. Talk to you later, Lord. Amen. Praise the Lord.

01:45:59 - 01:46:00 | Unknown:

God bless you.

01:46:00 - 01:46:30 | Speaker 3:

Oh, it's going to be fun tomorrow. All right, Mojo in the Morning Show. We are giving you Sam Hunt tickets. Sam Hunt going to be at Pine Knob. 01:46:31 - 01:46:34 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:46:34 - 01:46:39 | Speaker 3:

Shannon, with what's trending right now in the Dirty on 30 War of the Roses, coming up in less than 30 minutes.

01:46:39 - 01:46:50 | Speaker 2:

So Whoopi Goldberg is in some hot water after using a racial slur on yesterday's episode of The View and in the same conversation for farting.

01:46:50 - 01:47:10 | Speaker 1:

There are people who still believe that he got, you know, gypped somehow in the election will still believe that he cared enough about his wife to pay the, that was gas, you know, to pay that money from his personal.

01:47:10 - 01:47:36 | Speaker 2:

I was talking about former President Donald Trump, by the way, you heard her part and you heard her just straight out admit that it was gas. But the other was the word that she used, the slang term, the longtime slang term for being cheated or swindled. But it's viewed as a slur by some because of its association with gypsies, if you were not aware. So yesterday afternoon, she released this apology video.

01:47:36 - 01:47:55 | Speaker 1:

You know, when you're a certain age, you use words that you know from when you were a kid, or you remember saying, and that's what I did today, and I shouldn't have. I should have thought about it a little longer before I said it, but I didn't. And I should have said cheated, and I used another word.

01:47:56 - 01:48:05 | Speaker 2:

By the way, a lot of people in the comments section were very confused as to why she was making an apology, saying, I didn't even know that that word was not appropriate to use.

01:48:07 - 01:48:08 | Speaker 3:

And she farted, too.

01:48:08 - 01:48:10 | Speaker 2:

And that, and that, yeah, just came out.

01:48:10 - 01:48:14 | Speaker 3:

You're not supposed to say farted, too, by the way. Passed gas.

01:48:14 - 01:48:14 | Speaker 2:

Passed gas.

01:48:14 - 01:48:17 | Speaker 3:

Or as your children say, tooted.

01:48:17 - 01:48:18 | Speaker 2:

Tooted, yes.

01:48:18 - 01:48:18 | Speaker 3:

Mommy.

01:48:18 - 01:48:48 | Speaker 2:

Yesterday, Edwin Diaz, the Mets All-Star closer, was removed from the field in Miami in a wheelchair after he was injured during Team Puerto Rico's postgame celebration following a 5-2 victory over the Dominican Republic. Diaz had just recorded the final out of the game and was crowded by all of his excited teammates who were jumping and hugging him and celebrating near the pitcher's mound. But something happened during that celebration and Diaz all of a sudden emerged unable to put weight on his right knee.

01:48:48 - 01:48:49 | Speaker 3:

It's unbelievable.

01:48:49 - 01:49:07 | Speaker 2:

And that's when they brought out the wheelchair. I don't know if you saw this, but his younger brother, Alexis, who's also a reliever for Team Puerto Rico, he was in tears. I mean, he knew his brother was injured. He's probably done for the year. Yeah, the Mets released a statement saying Diaz will receive some imaging on that knee later this morning. and they're going to give an update when they have one.

01:49:07 - 01:49:32 | Speaker 3:

Well, you know what this is? So the World Baseball Classic is like, you know, how when hockey goes and they play like in the Olympics and stuff, and nobody or basketball does it too. It's like you're playing exhibition and you're playing for your country while these teams have so much money in you. And a lot of people don't like this World Baseball Classic. I honestly think it's kind of whatever. I'm just like, you know, I'm not really into it.

01:49:32 - 01:49:38 | Speaker 4:

Well, that's why a lot of players will skip the Pro Bowl for football, right? Like, if they have a game coming up, they don't want to get injured.

01:49:38 - 01:49:45 | Speaker 3:

And how many times at the end of games, like, when a player hits, like, a walk-off home run, do they, like, jump on top of them and stuff?

01:49:45 - 01:49:46 | Speaker 2:

And that's what this was.

01:49:46 - 01:49:49 | Speaker 3:

And this guy gets hurt. Yeah. Unbelievable. Yeah.

01:49:49 - 01:50:00 | Speaker 2:

Kanye West off the hook. He won't face any charges for grabbing and throwing a photographer's phone back in January. According to the Ventura County DA's office, the phone just had my...

01:50:00 - 01:51:11 | Speaker 1:

or damage it had a $30 case on it that was it so the woman declined to press charges against Kanye and if you don't remember the situation Kanye's daughter North was playing basketball Kanye had asked the paparazzi in the video not to film him while he was trying to spend time with his kids she was one of the paparazzi who was filming him and that's why he got so upset this is interesting Megan Mick nearly three-fourths of avid Taylor Swift fans excuse me are whites roughly half of all fans are millennials live in the suburbs are democrats according to a new survey published this week giving some demographic insight into swifties one of the most dedicated fan bases in the music industry and 53 percent of u.s adults said they are taylor swift fans 16 percent uh 16 percent identified themselves as super fans her fan base is pretty evenly split across genders, 48% male, 52% female, according to this survey, and everybody voted 1989 as Taylor Swift's best album. Is anybody surprised by that? Especially because she's been very vocal politically?

01:51:12 - 01:51:15 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. No, I think that that probably is the- It's all pretty accurate. Yeah.

01:51:15 - 01:51:16 | Speaker 1:

I mean, nothing really surprising there to me.

01:51:16 - 01:51:20 | Speaker 4:

And if her audience leans female and leans younger, I think that's more typical, too.

01:51:20 - 01:51:24 | Speaker 1:

But her pretty split evenly, 50-50, you know, male-female.

01:51:24 - 01:51:36 | Speaker 4:

I think it's wild, though, to see that for Twitter, though, 85% of people are not fans. Well, only 15%. That shows you who's on Twitter. Isn't that funny? I was going to say, is anybody on Twitter a fan of anything? Yeah, right.

01:51:37 - 01:51:37 | Speaker 1:

It's anger.

01:51:38 - 01:51:43 | Speaker 4:

But no, but Instagram, 71% are not fans of her on Instagram. 29% are.

01:51:43 - 01:51:58 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I didn't see that part. So that actually surprised me. That is so surprising. And I'm going to leave you with this because it's trending right now after the Pistons posted it. Chauncey Billups talking about the one time he told a ref to give Rasheed Wallace a tech for a very, very good reason.

01:51:58 - 01:52:52 | Speaker 3:

The one thing that would make she really mad, and then after he gets mad, you can throw it to him and he can score on anybody, was him getting a tech. So one night, it was so funny, I forgot the ref, I forgot who was playing. He was talking crazy. You know how he talks to the refs? He's talking crazy. but he also was not engaged in the game. Right. So I went to the ref. I said, hey, listen, man, you can't let him talk to you like that. Hey, listen, man, come on. You got to put an end to this, man. Boom. Calls the tech on him, right? Yeah. He go crazy. Next five times, I drop it to him. Man, he go about four for five. I looked at the ref. I said, I appreciate you. Appreciate you. That's a true story, man. It's unbelievable. We laugh so good about that. It's such a good team.

01:52:52 - 01:52:53 | Speaker 4:

Oh, man. It's funny.

01:52:53 - 01:52:57 | Speaker 1:

01:54:54 - 01:54:55 | Speaker 4:

Shannon's boyfriend

01:54:55 - 01:54:57 | Speaker 1:

Fiancé

01:54:57 - 01:55:00 | Speaker 4:

Or fiancé, excuse me, I apologize Do I have to

01:55:00 - 01:55:01 | Speaker 3:

To say it like French like that?

01:55:01 - 01:55:03 | Speaker 1:

No, I say that just to make fun of it.

01:55:04 - 01:55:19 | Speaker 3:

Woo, woo, woo, woo. Wes, Shannon's fiance, got locked in to somewhere very interesting yesterday that almost got him arrested. Yep. We'll be back with that story coming up next.

01:55:20 - 01:55:30 | Speaker 2:

More Mojo in minutes. Cheating is a choice, not a mistake. Don't be fooled. Another War of the Roses is after nine on Mojo in the Morning.

01:55:35 - 01:55:46 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning show. You hear these stories all the time that it's like made almost like into a movie where people get locked into like a department store.

01:55:46 - 01:55:47 | Speaker 1:

That would be my dream.

01:55:48 - 01:55:48 | Speaker 3:

Wouldn't that be great?

01:55:48 - 01:55:50 | Speaker 1:

Who am I kidding? I got locked in a mall once.

01:55:50 - 01:55:51 | Speaker 3:

Did you really?

01:55:51 - 01:55:53 | Speaker 1:

Also my dream. Yeah, same.

01:55:53 - 01:55:57 | Speaker 2:

You don't get to spend money, though, or doing it because the stores are low.

01:55:57 - 01:56:01 | Speaker 1:

I know, but you could at least try things on and dream.

01:56:02 - 01:56:05 | Speaker 3:

How would you like to get locked into the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory thing at the mall?

01:56:05 - 01:56:08 | Speaker 1:

I would probably vomit and I would eat so much.

01:56:08 - 01:56:08 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh.

01:56:09 - 01:56:09 | Speaker 1:

I mean.

01:56:09 - 01:56:15 | Speaker 3:

Well, your fiancé got locked in yesterday and almost got arrested?

01:56:15 - 01:58:17 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so he calls me in a panic yesterday. And I'm trying to tend to all these kids. It was a half day of school. So two of my other girlfriends and I volunteered to, like, take a bunch of the kids and watch them for the afternoon to give the other moms who were working, you know, a little bit of relief there. And he calls me. I mean, just panic. I'm like, what happened? He's like, I think I'm about to get arrested. So back story here. Wes and his teenage son, Kieran, are in Arizona right now. And they went out there for a bunch of different reasons. One of the reasons was Kieran wanted to look at Arizona State University to go to college. So they, like, toured that campus or whatever. well he does track and Wes is a track coach so they wanted to get like a track workout in because it's about to be track season and so they headed to this local high school by the hotel that they were staying at in Arizona to like use the track and Wes let his son drive because he has you know he's about to get his driver's license and so Wes told me he's answering emails he's not really paying attention when they pulled into the school and parked back by like the track the football field area so they did their track workout it started to rain and when they went to leave they realized they were locked in like actually locked in gates fences had closed and west said he starts to look around and sees all of these signs where they had parked that said absolutely no trespassing so he's like Shan I tried to call the office of the school for somebody to come out and let us out they're on spring break so there's nobody there and he's like I'm scared if I call the police they're gonna be like didn't you see the signs that said no trespassing you're not even supposed to be there in the first place so he's like trying to deal with this I'm trying to deal with all these kids he actually sent me a video because I'm like I don't understand how you can't get out right like just drive out and he's like no i can't i we're literally locked in the stadium

01:58:17 - 01:58:38 | Speaker 4:

open for track and then here is the gate that's closed around all the signs that say trespassing and here's the boy who's a dumbass look at all the signs trespassing trespassing No trespassing, gate, locked.

01:58:38 - 01:58:40 | Speaker 1:

And then I'm like, oh, I get it.

01:58:41 - 01:58:56 | Speaker 3:

People do this at the high school by my house all the time. They'll use the track to walk and things like that. Sure, everybody does that. And they'll go on it and do it. And I wonder if they also have times where they have to lock up the place. Because it's spring break out there.

01:58:56 - 01:59:23 | Speaker 1:

It's spring break out there. And so that's why he was like, there was nobody. Like, for whatever reason, it was open and then the gates closed by the time that they were ready to leave. And he said, thank God, because I told him, I said, call the police and just say, you guys are thinking about moving to the area. Your son wanted to see the high school, like, you know, whatever. Give them a story. They're not going to arrest you for using the track. But there were some contractors that they screamed at and they came over and opened the gates so they could drive out.

01:59:23 - 01:59:49 | Speaker 3:

Have you ever been locked up in some place, like something closed or you went in and the door locked behind you or the gate locked behind you in this case? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. I've been locked out. Radio station, doing a weekend shift, go outside to go not have a smoke because I'm not a smoker, but go out and grab something in my car.

01:59:49 - 01:59:53 | Speaker 2:

In theory, locked in should be better, but you just want to get out. Well, not when you're on the air.

01:59:54 - 01:59:55 | Speaker 1:

Were you on the air at the time?

01:59:55 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 2:

I was on the air, and we had dead air. Yeah, I got locked out of a station when I was on the air once. Same thing.

02:00:00 - 02:00:45 | Speaker 3:

dead air songs running out do you ever hear the tim richards story this is great so tim and i worked together at a radio station and it was in an old house and i think i've told you a story about the old house radio station i worked at so tim was going outside to go grab something in his car and he left and had a piece of paper that he was put in between the door all right right so you put the piece of paper in the door so the door doesn't lock classic dj move we all prop that door and lock it doors yeah because he puts it by the latch doesn't work the latch doesn't get through the paper yeah yeah well wind ended up blowing the door open and the paper went flying and tim got locked out and had to call the uh the bosses so you know what i did it was like four in

02:00:45 - 02:01:41 | Speaker 2:

the morning i was working overnights like midnight to 6 a.m till the morning show came in with four in the morning i run out to my car because i realized i left my food out there door locked behind me some yeah i thought i put this a rock in between them and it just somehow it wiggled closed i had to break the take the rock and break the window to climb back in the building because i was like well the morning show is not gonna be here for two hours if i have to call the boss at four in the morning and have him come unlock the door i'm fired yeah i'd rather break the window and then just deal with it in the morning i'll just pay to get the window repaired so when they came in this morning i was about to tell them oh my gosh i had to break the window i didn't want to go off the air and lose all the advertisers as soon as they walked in they go look at this somebody tried to break in are you okay gosh you weren't here all by yourself you could have been hurt and i looked at them and i said wow when did that happen luckily there were no cameras on the

02:01:41 - 02:01:47 | Speaker 3:

door yeah thank god for no cameras kristin hi hey your husband had the same exact thing happened to

02:01:47 - 02:02:26 | Speaker 8:

him that happened to shannon's fiancee yeah so i'm married to a high school head football coach who has the keys always has the keys to unlock himself but left them and did not have them to get him and our five-year-old out so he had to throw her over the fence and use her better her than him i guess they hopped the fence and needless to say the sheriffs come for the school district they don't mind they know who he is but it's very very ironic that he has the keys but yeah but yeah have them in the moment of need amazing while you look at some of these places

02:02:26 - 02:02:45 | Speaker 4:

people have been locked in patty where'd you get locked in actually it wasn't me it was my friend and her sister but they got locked in the cemetery oh my gosh and and it was after like before we had cell phones and stuff so they had to climb out go to the gas station get a ride home and go back and

02:02:45 - 02:03:00 | Speaker 3:

get their car the next day the the cemetery was always the place that we would as friends would all go like at night and you know steal our parents vodka and stuff yeah you have to climb fences you should see me kind of climb a fence uh billy what's up where'd you get locked in

02:03:00 - 02:03:21 | Speaker 1:

hey what's going on we got locked into a golf course we were playing twilight golf and um when we came around the turn for the last hole um we noticed our car was the last car in a lot, and they locked us in. There was fence stalls, and we couldn't get out for about three or four hours. We ended up having to call the police to get us out. Oh, my God.

02:03:23 - 02:03:25 | Speaker 3:

Paula, where'd you get locked in? I got locked in

02:03:25 - 02:03:39 | Speaker 7:

an antique shop while I was pregnant with my daughter, and the windows were nailed shut because it was an old house. Oh, jeez. And I had to call the police to get out, and the owner came with the police and counted the change in the drawer. I called the police to get out.

02:03:39 - 02:03:44 | Speaker 2:

How did the owner not realize There was still a customer in the shop

02:03:44 - 02:03:45 | Speaker 7:

What happened was

02:03:45 - 02:03:51 | Speaker 3:

He was there to do repairs or whatever

02:03:51 - 02:03:54 | Speaker 7:

And he walked out while we were still in there He didn't see us

02:03:54 - 02:04:11 | Speaker 3:

I'm thinking that the owners of these antique shops Have got to be like these old people By the way, that would be the worst place To ever get locked in To me, I wouldn't even want to go into an antique shop Let alone get locked into an antique shop That would be the torture for me If you ever want to punish me Jen

02:04:11 - 02:04:14 | Speaker 9:

Hi, good morning Mojo

02:04:14 - 02:04:15 | Speaker 3:

Good morning

02:04:15 - 02:04:32 | Speaker 9:

I locked my dog in my office When we were not allowed to have pets And he panicked Pooped all over the place And got it on the door And walked around in it And I got caught Sneaking my pet into my office

02:04:32 - 02:04:37 | Speaker 3:

Oh man, that's why Listen to these ones Spike, Emily, where'd you get locked in?

02:04:38 - 02:04:39 | Speaker 6:

The big house.

02:04:40 - 02:04:42 | Speaker 2:

Ooh, okay. That could be fun.

02:04:43 - 02:05:00 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, so I was there with my mom and my then-boyfriend, and we were, like, on a tour of the suites and the boxes and stuff. And we were done and went out the exit that wasn't marked because the lines of the elevator was really long. So we went down some stairs and turned the wrong way and ended.

02:05:00 - 02:05:17 | Speaker 3:

up instead of outside the stadium ended up inside the stadium so we're walking around the concourse every door was locked we couldn't find anybody my mom was super po'd um but we eventually flagged down some security guy that was driving around and she let us out the first time i got to meet

02:05:17 - 02:05:40 | Speaker 7:

ed sheeran uh after the show they said come back have a beer and meet him and everything and when i came out they had already torn down the whole state we were back there a little while they tore down the whole stage and they were now prepping the ice like uncovering the ice for hockey the next day it took everything in me to not go down i was like how fun would it be to just go down and like slide around on the ice and everything in an empty arena yeah but i was afraid same thing

02:05:40 - 02:05:45 | Speaker 2:

i'd get arrested well another uh big destination that you were locked in dawn where were you locked

02:05:45 - 02:06:58 | Speaker 4:

in i was locked in the fox theater in a broom closet wait a minute how were you even in there in the first place okay so um a group of my girlfriends and some of their boyfriends went to the bash bash and it was gonna end soon and i thought i have to go to the bathroom so bad i'm not gonna make it till the end so i nip out and there's like 40 people in line for the toilet and i'm like there's no way i could make it so i turn around and i see this person coming out of this closet like room or you know i thought maybe it's like a an employee lounge or something with bathrooms so as they come out of this little room i grab the door and go in and the door closes And there's another door But it's locked And I feel this cord hanging So I pull it and there's a light And I'm locked in the closet Oh my god I all of a sudden The bash bash ended And I'm banging and pounding Like I did not want to spend the night

02:06:58 - 02:07:01 | Speaker 2:

And that's like a creepy old place anyway

02:07:01 - 02:07:03 | Speaker 7:

Oh it's haunted for sure

02:07:03 - 02:07:04 | Speaker 4:

Don did you go to the bathroom

02:07:04 - 02:07:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah Don KP has a good question for you

02:07:09 - 02:07:14 | Speaker 4:

Did you end up going to the bathroom? Well, maybe a little bit.

02:07:17 - 02:07:23 | Speaker 2:

Now, if you could think of the greatest place in the world that you could ever get locked in, where would that be?

02:07:23 - 02:07:25 | Speaker 7:

David Buster's. Brewery.

02:07:25 - 02:07:26 | Speaker 2:

No.

02:07:26 - 02:07:29 | Speaker 7:

A winery. We all have a problem. We all have a problem.

02:07:31 - 02:07:36 | Speaker 2:

McDonald's. Lindsay, you were locked in a McDonald's freezer?

02:07:37 - 02:07:46 | Speaker 5:

It was actually my sister. So it's funny because I moved to Texas Like I moved to like six months ago And I listen to you guys every morning still

02:07:46 - 02:07:51 | Speaker 2:

Awesome, thank you so much So wait, so she was in the freezer She was working there and got locked in it?

02:07:52 - 02:08:02 | Speaker 5:

She worked at McDonald's when she was in high school And she was in the freezer And she said that she got locked in And she almost had to call the McDonald's to let her out

02:08:02 - 02:08:07 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, it seems like the walk-in Shouldn't be able to lock from the outside, right? I mean, that's dangerous

02:08:07 - 02:08:13 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, exactly She's like, I'm so glad I have my phone. I almost had to call and have them let me out. She said it was very humbling.

02:08:14 - 02:08:19 | Speaker 2:

Now, if you're in the freezer, though, there's really nothing you want in there because the ice cream has to be made, doesn't it?

02:08:19 - 02:08:23 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I would rather be locked in a deep fryer after fryer.

02:08:25 - 02:08:25 | Speaker 2:

Exactly.

02:08:27 - 02:08:29 | Speaker 1:

This is Mojo in the Morning Live.

02:08:29 - 02:08:45 | Speaker 2:

Hey, if you think that you are being cheated on, if you think that your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, or wife is cheating, text CHEATER to 95500 so that we can get you on next week's War of the Roses. It's Mojo in the Morning, busting cheaters.

02:08:45 - 02:08:51 | Speaker 1:

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

02:08:51 - 02:08:55 | Speaker 2:

So Carrie Ann has been married now for, was it four years?

02:08:56 - 02:08:56 | Unknown:

Yeah.

02:08:56 - 02:09:14 | Speaker 2:

and is starting to worry about her marriage because she's suspecting that her husband's cheating. It stems from something that happened with his phone. First off, tell us a story about how he's kind of claiming that he's forgetting things a lot.

02:09:15 - 02:09:30 | Speaker 6:

Recently, he keeps losing his phone charger, so he keeps buying new ones because he forgets them somewhere. And then the really big item he locked was his phone And this woman turned it into his work

02:09:30 - 02:09:36 | Speaker 2:

So I asked Who's the woman?

02:09:37 - 02:09:54 | Speaker 6:

I don't know I don't know I asked a co-worker about it And the co-worker said that it was this really beautiful, really hot girl And that she and my husband Seemed to know each other And she dropped his phone off at work

02:09:54 - 02:09:58 | Speaker 2:

So not necessarily did he lose it He left it

02:10:00 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:10:00 - 02:10:11 | Speaker 3:

We're going to call him up to see where he's going to send a dozen free roses. And I want you to mute your phone and not say a word, okay? And let Shannon do all the talking.

02:10:12 - 02:10:12 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

02:10:13 - 02:10:14 | Speaker 3:

All right. War of the Roses.

02:10:26 - 02:10:26 | Speaker 1:

Hello?

02:10:27 - 02:10:29 | Speaker 2:

I'm looking for Spencer. Please.

02:10:30 - 02:10:31 | Unknown:

Speaking.

02:10:32 - 02:10:38 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Spencer. My name's Nicole, and I'm calling from a new online floral company called rosesbloom.com. How are you doing this morning?

02:10:39 - 02:10:40 | Speaker 1:

I'm good, thank you.

02:10:40 - 02:11:07 | Speaker 2:

How are you? I'm good. I am not going to take up too much of your time. I'm actually calling with a free flower offer. Like I said, we're a new company. And if you have about 30 seconds to answer two survey questions for me, we're going to gift you with a dozen long-stemmed red roses that you can send to the person of your choice anywhere in the country, absolutely free of charge. I'm not going to ask you for credit card information or anything like that. And so I'm just calling to see if you wanted to take part in our free flowers offer.

02:11:09 - 02:11:10 | Speaker 1:

No, I think I'm okay.

02:11:10 - 02:11:21 | Speaker 2:

It will literally take less than 30 seconds. And it's free flowers. No strings attached. Can I ask you the two questions? Have you purchased flowers in the last six months, Spencer?

02:11:23 - 02:11:23 | Speaker 1:

No.

02:11:24 - 02:11:26 | Speaker 2:

And do you plan on purchasing flowers in the next six months?

02:11:26 - 02:11:33 | Speaker 1:

i didn't have any plans to okay you are done i promise you'll be fast and now as a thank you

02:11:33 - 02:11:45 | Speaker 2:

for participating in that survey again the business name is rosesbloom.com and we're going to send off some flowers as early as today i just need to get a first and a last name of who these flowers are going to

02:11:45 - 02:11:54 | Speaker 1:

uh okay sure um i carry on

02:11:54 - 02:12:08 | Speaker 2:

okay and just so I we can also include a message on a card with the flowers what did you want that message to say

02:12:08 - 02:12:17 | Speaker 1:

thinking of you yeah thinking of you love Spence

02:12:17 - 02:12:23 | Speaker 2:

okay Spencer I also have to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality and training

02:12:23 - 02:12:58 | Speaker 3:

purposes? Are you okay with that? Sure. Yeah. Great. Spencer, I'm going to jump on and I'm going to gather all the rest of the information, like the phone number. But I also need to tell you one more thing before we do that, that while we have been calling you up to see where you'd send a dozen free roses, your wife, Carrie Ann, has been listening in on the phone because she's the one who asked us to call you because she wanted to see where you had sent a dozen free roses.

02:13:01 - 02:13:01 | Unknown:

Okay.

02:13:01 - 02:13:03 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Really?

02:13:04 - 02:13:11 | Speaker 3:

Yes. And Carrie Ann, are you happy that you got the flowers?

02:13:12 - 02:13:20 | Speaker 1:

I am beyond happy. Hey. Hey, honey.

02:13:20 - 02:13:29 | Speaker 3:

Carrie Ann do you want us to tell Spencer more details or do you want to just get the flowers and go

02:13:29 - 02:13:43 | Speaker 1:

well maybe that should be between him and I I would yeah it's just kind of hard to do this we're going to get

02:13:43 - 02:13:49 | Speaker 3:

those flowers off okay so Spencer hang on we're going to get some information from you and get those flowers off

02:13:50 - 02:13:50 | Speaker 1:

Thank you.

02:13:52 - 02:14:46 | Speaker 3:

Okay, put them on a hole. Watching you do that, you got caught off guard when the flowers actually went to Carrie Ann. Very, very caught off guard. Which, honestly, is a good thing. Do you see the text exchange that we're having right now with the numbers 734 up there? so there's somebody that keeps texting us saying that they know this spencer and they know all the details about what's going on can we try to get them on the phone with us we guys try to call and see if we can get that person on just to find out more details because obviously she didn't want to talk about it but we can definitely talk about it um war of the roses Thoughts on this And when we come back here next We will get that person on the phone It's Mojo in the Morning Show Don't go anywhere

Mojo in the Morning

02:15:00 - 02:16:51 | Speaker 2:

mojo in the morning all right so just a recap on the war of the roses carrie ann said that she was suspicious that her husband was cheating on her he lost his phone and then had it returned to him at his work by what she found out from a friend of hers who works with her husband was a very attractive woman who they seem to know okay that's where it obviously got a little sketchy well we called the offer a dozen free roses and really got no nothing we we cannot say that we have a cheater here because he did not send the flowers but we can speculate especially off of text messages that we're getting and we tried to call this 734 number this person has sent multiple texts so read some of the text to you I know Spencer we work together and there's more to the story and then we contacted them and said hey we're going to call you right now and they said back they said I don't want to get involved in this whole thing but I do know that there is more to who that girl is and then we kept calling back and kept getting bumped on that and got a text back saying I don't think I can come on with you guys right now So that's what we ended up getting just a few moments ago. So it was a little awkward for us. Comments from listeners and then also a topic idea that actually our producer came up with that I think is a good one. Busted cheating because you left something behind. What was left behind that got you busted cheating? Jordan, you want to make a comment on this War of the Roses?

02:16:51 - 02:17:12 | Speaker 5:

I just always, every time I hear this, 95% of the time, the guy's like, it's cut and dry. It's like, oh, he's guilty. I'm just saying, I really hope I'm never on this because I think this guy's innocent, but I'm sure someone's going to find something like that.

02:17:12 - 02:17:40 | Speaker 4:

So I get where you're coming from in terms of, like, it could have just been, coincidentally, a very hot girl who is friendly and whatever that dropped off the phone wherever he left it if it wasn't her house. But I wish, and I don't think we're allowed, I wish we could post a screenshot of all of the text messages that we're getting from this one specific number because clearly there is more to the story.

02:17:40 - 02:17:51 | Speaker 1:

They seem to know a lot. I don't know if they're co-workers. I mean, they won't let us clarify anymore. So there's a lot of speculation here, but they seem to have great details about what might be a relationship here.

02:17:52 - 02:18:02 | Speaker 5:

And the girl could also be wanting a relationship and he's pushing back and not wanting back. So this could all be hurt.

02:18:03 - 02:18:21 | Speaker 2:

Here's one way that this all ends, you know, her and Carrie Ann feeling weird about her husband and us speculating. who's the girl? It seemed like they knew each other. That's what the co-worker said. I mean, you know, and his explanation was it was some girl.

02:18:21 - 02:18:27 | Speaker 4:

If you're a waitress at a restaurant that he was at and just happened to leave his phone, exactly.

02:18:27 - 02:18:31 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean, just come right out. Mark, comment from you. Mojo in the Morning, War of the Roses.

02:18:34 - 02:18:35 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, you guys there?

02:18:35 - 02:18:37 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, we're here, Mark. Hi, Mark.

02:18:37 - 02:18:46 | Speaker 6:

Hey, what's going on? Good morning. It's almost like he knew what was going on. Like, he was caught, you know, like he knew who Shannon was.

02:18:46 - 02:19:13 | Speaker 2:

It's interesting because I don't believe that. I normally can tell when I believe that somebody knew who, you know, we were and, you know, that it was Shannon calling. I don't think that was the case with this one. I didn't get that sense. I think that's why we got so thrown off and Shannon especially got thrown off when he sent the flowers to his wife because we were like, oh, okay, well, this is interesting. Because Shannon kind of forced him into, you know, sending the flowers. I mean, he didn't want to.

02:19:13 - 02:19:20 | Speaker 4:

I feel like I steamrolled him and just started asking the questions, which sometimes we have to do because, you know. They might hang up otherwise. Exactly.

02:19:21 - 02:19:22 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, Nikki?

02:19:23 - 02:19:53 | Speaker 3:

02:19:53 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 2:

I know. I know. We're trying still. We're trying to work on that. But the question that I asked was,

02:20:00 - 02:20:10 | Speaker 6:

They got busted cheating because they left something behind in this particular one. We don't know if this guy's cheating, but he left his phone behind. What was left behind? Dawn, what's up?

02:20:11 - 02:20:12 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Mojo. Good morning.

02:20:12 - 02:20:14 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. What was left behind?

02:20:14 - 02:20:41 | Speaker 4:

So it wasn't a personal item. About 10 years ago, my ex-husband and I went out to get a pizza. And we're sitting in the car, and I put the pizza on the dashboard. and the pizza being hot steamed up the windshield of the car and in the windshield somebody had written, which I now know was his boss's daughter later on I love you in the window. Oh my god.

02:20:41 - 02:20:43 | Speaker 2:

I would have never seen it.

02:20:43 - 02:20:44 | Speaker 5:

Busted by pizza.

02:20:44 - 02:20:47 | Speaker 2:

That is an insane story, Don.

02:20:47 - 02:20:50 | Speaker 5:

He was cheating with his boss's daughter? He was, yes.

02:20:50 - 02:20:54 | Speaker 2:

But the fact that some writing on the window did it.

02:20:54 - 02:20:56 | Speaker 5:

How old was the boss's daughter?

02:20:57 - 02:20:58 | Speaker 4:

We were in our 20s at that time.

02:20:58 - 02:20:59 | Speaker 6:

Wow. Oh, jeez.

02:20:59 - 02:21:09 | Speaker 2:

I remember, actually, a few weeks ago, we had a similar story of somebody who said when she got in the shower, there was writing. Remember that? Yes. On the shower door. In the fog. In the fog.

02:21:09 - 02:21:09 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

02:21:09 - 02:21:11 | Speaker 2:

And she was like, I know I didn't write that.

02:21:11 - 02:21:12 | Speaker 6:

Harold, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

02:21:14 - 02:21:19 | Speaker 3:

Hey, good morning, guys. Here's the thing that you guys are missing. The girl who had the phone, how did she know where he worked?

02:21:20 - 02:21:38 | Speaker 6:

Well, that's why we, but here's what we said. That's why he knew her. And that's why he needs to come forward and say who that was. Because you can't just say it's a random person that found your phone and just randomly brought it in. It just is, it's impossible.

02:21:38 - 02:21:52 | Speaker 2:

But again, again, and by the way, I believe he's cheating. I'm just, you know, to further this story, it could be a barista who he talks to all the time and she happens to know where he works.

02:21:52 - 02:21:53 | Speaker 6:

It's up to him to clarify.

02:21:53 - 02:21:54 | Speaker 2:

Exactly.

02:21:55 - 02:22:01 | Speaker 6:

Sounds fishy. Yeah, it does. Thank you for the call. God, that written in the cars.

02:22:01 - 02:22:06 | Speaker 2:

With the PSAT, that just so happened to steam up the window. I mean, talk about the perfect storm.

02:22:06 - 02:22:49 | Speaker 6:

KP, are you making that? You've got to make that on Instagram. That has to go. Our listeners have to hear that. That was great. That's got to be up on our social because it was just way too interesting to know that. That has got every cheater going to Jack's car wash today. mojo in the morning's dirty on the 30 now if you ever uh miss the show even the dirties on the 30s and maybe you want to hear what's going on you know it's a podcast for you while the show goes on so you subscribe to our podcast just search mojo in the morning wherever you get podcast and it will download right to your phone matter of fact if you don't like this dirty you can listen to the 8 30 dirty it's already posted from last hour yeah what's going on so yesterday

02:22:49 - 02:23:30 | Speaker 2:

Yesterday, the NBA gave All-Star guard Ja Morant an eight-game suspension without pay. This is all over him flashing that gun at a strip club in Denver earlier this month. They said that the conduct was detrimental to the league. So he missed his sixth consecutive game last night when the Grizzlies played in Miami. So he's going to miss the next two games at San Antonio tomorrow and then home against Golden State on Saturday. He'll be eligible to return on Monday when Memphis plays Dallas. I don't believe he's expected to play that night, though. He's going to forfeit about $669,000 in salary. Meanwhile, he said that gun that he flashed wasn't even his in the first place.

02:23:31 - 02:24:02 | Speaker 1:

The gun wasn't mine. It's not who I am. I don't condone any type of violence. But I take full responsibility for my actions. I made a bad mistake. And I can see the image, you know, that I painted, you know, over myself, you know, with my recent mistakes. But, you know, in the future, I'm going to show everybody who John really is, you know, what I'm about and, you know, change this narrative.

02:24:02 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 2:

Said he is in a good mental place after that incident. He has been speaking with therapists, working on anxiety breathing to help him deal with stress as well. A Hollywood writer and producer is slamming actress Jenna Ortega for acting quote-unquote entitled and toxic after she criticized the writers of her Netflix show Wednesday. Specifically, she said that nothing about her character made sense to her, and she had to step in to correct the arc of the story. She said, I don't think I've ever had to put my foot down more on a set than the way I had to on Wednesday. Well, this writer-producer named Stephen DeKnight, whose writing credits include Buffy the Vampire Slayer, among others, said he thought those comments were really unprofessional. He said, not cool, Jenna, to publicly spit on the writers and producers of your very successful show. He tweeted, I love talking with actors about their storylines, but by the nature of the beast, they...

02:25:00 - 02:25:13 | Speaker 5:

don't have the full picture of where the story is going and why some lines are needed for this whole thing to make sense. He said, the kind of statement she made is beyond entitled and toxic. I love her work, but life's too short to deal with people like this in the business.

02:25:14 - 02:25:17 | Speaker 7:

And you as a writer will never work with Jenna Ortega ever again.

02:25:17 - 02:25:56 | Speaker 5:

I don't think they have worked together, but yeah, in the future is not happening. There was a big ceremony yesterday honoring the late Kobe Bryant. This was in front of that famous Chinese theater in Hollywood. So a couple of years ago, back in 2011, he did the handprints and footprints that are displayed. Well, his were on the inside of the theater, so you could only see them if you went in to see a movie. And a lot of the tourists just stand outside and take pictures and stuff. Well, now his handprints and footprints are on the sidewalk out front next to Marilyn Monroe, Eddie Murphy, all of the big celebrities. His daughter, Natalia, said this at yesterday's ceremony.

02:25:56 - 02:26:11 | Speaker 1:

It's truly astounding to be standing here in front of the Chinese Theater in Hollywood, forever displaying my dad's hands and footprints. As you visit here for years to come, I encourage you to place your hands in his and take a moment to stand in his shoes.

02:26:11 - 02:26:54 | Speaker 5:

Guess who's in the dirty again today, you guys? Who's that? Very random. Tiger King. Joe Exotic. Really? Still in jail? Still in jail. He's actually serving a 21-year federal sentence for all sorts of charges. But despite being behind bars, he said he is going to run for president of the United States. He has a campaign website. And he said he has a right to run for president. He writes, I don't give a damn what color you are, where you came from, who you slept with, if you've done drugs in your past, or if you've made a mistake. So put aside that I am gay, that I am in prison for now, that I have used drugs in the past, that I had more than one boyfriend at once, and that Carol hates my guts.

02:26:55 - 02:27:05 | Speaker 8:

I mean, at this point, I'm like, yeah, sure, let's give it a shot. Whatever. Let's see how it rolls. I thought the guy was dead or dying or something like that. He had, like, bad cancer.

02:27:05 - 02:27:15 | Speaker 5:

He is pretty ill, but nothing's stopping him. Never thought I'd hear this song again. And lastly, what, Megan? Can you pardon yourself?

02:27:16 - 02:27:24 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's interesting. Well, first he needs to get the job, get in, and then he can pardon himself. But I don't know how that works. Yeah.

02:27:24 - 02:27:43 | Speaker 5:

Lastly, a sleep expert doctor by the name of Carol Ashe was interviewed on the Today Show about the lasting effects of daylight savings time. And she's going viral for the way that she says the word clock. Take a listen.

02:27:43 - 02:28:10 | Speaker 4:

There's no argument that we need to get rid of changing the clocks. It's difficult for the internal clock in our brain to adjust that quickly. standard time is designed to be aligned with your physiology so there's a cock in your brain right and it's the cock in your brain the strongest center of that cock is the sun oh my goodness and when the sun comes up in the morning that's how that cock is set and that cock maintains all the rhythms for wake and sleep and your hormones and even the expression she is saying clock but

02:28:10 - 02:28:23 | Speaker 5:

it's just but it's coming out her pronunciation's a little different yeah so many times she's also We're getting roasted for how many times she said the word clack in her speech.

02:28:23 - 02:28:24 | Speaker 3:

But, yeah, hang on.

02:28:25 - 02:28:30 | Speaker 5:

How do I put this song? All right, for all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page. I'm going to do in the morning.com.

02:28:34 - 02:28:39 | Speaker 6:

02:28:40 - 02:29:03 | Speaker 8:

here's the thing there's this children's entertainer convention going on and it's at our hotel the same time that you have your reservation i mean you should see these people walking around like clowns mascots balloon animal artists magicians you know this weekend's gonna be a blast anyway there was a computer error and they should not have offered you rooms this weekend because all of our rooms have been booked What do you mean by that?

02:30:02 - 02:30:05 | Speaker 4:

We can't honor your reservation, so we just need to make some different accommodations.

02:30:06 - 02:30:16 | Speaker 3:

Well, no, that's not, that doesn't work. I booked nine rooms because I have a whole bunch of kids and shepherds and everything going in for this tournament this weekend.

02:30:17 - 02:30:24 | Speaker 4:

Right. Weekdays are much better here. We have a continental breakfast with a free breakfast pizza. Can I move your reservation to the weekday of your choice?

02:30:24 - 02:30:32 | Speaker 3:

No, that doesn't work because the tournament's on the weekend. I reserve those dates specifically because that's when the tournament happens. Oh, a tournament.

02:30:32 - 02:30:38 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I love games. Well, maybe what I could do is I could find you a room at one of our partner hotels down the street.

02:30:38 - 02:30:48 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no, no. I booked my rooms there, and it's right next to the field where we're going to be playing. You know, I have a confirmation saying that those are the rooms I get, so I want those rooms.

02:30:48 - 02:30:51 | Speaker 4:

Yes, but they never should have sent you that confirmation. Yeah.

02:30:51 - 02:30:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, well, you know, that's not my fault.

02:30:54 - 02:31:01 | Speaker 4:

Well, maybe I can find you in a room right across the street, our sister hotel, because that's close. How many rooms do you need?

02:31:02 - 02:31:04 | Speaker 3:

No, I need nine rooms, and I need it in that building.

02:31:05 - 02:31:17 | Speaker 4:

Nine rooms? Yeah. Well, see, but I told you about the thing going on here, the Fenton Family Forever Fun Fest. And then across the street, they have the Indoor Plant Horticulturist and Midwest Cactus Society. So I don't think we're going to be able to do anything for you.

02:31:18 - 02:31:23 | Speaker 3:

I want the room that I reserved two months ago. I have a confirmation email.

02:31:23 - 02:31:32 | Speaker 4:

But listen to me, Sugar Donut. A reservation isn't a reservation if there's no room. Now, I want to help your little rugrats. How many rooms do you really need? Can we squeeze everybody into four rooms?

02:31:33 - 02:31:39 | Speaker 3:

No, there's no way. We're already squeezing everybody into nine rooms. We would all be on top of each other if it was four rooms.

02:31:40 - 02:31:43 | Speaker 4:

Oh, there is no way I'm going to be able to live up to your potential today.

02:31:44 - 02:32:08 | Speaker 3:

Okay, how about this? Who can I talk to? Who can I talk to? Well, you could talk to me. Two months. It's been two months that I've confirmed these rooms, that I've had these rooms reserved. Can you hang on a second? Yeah. Can't believe this. I mean, she's a ****.

02:32:09 - 02:32:18 | Speaker 4:

Hello, sir? Yeah. We're out of luck. I'm sorry. What do you mean I'm out of luck? Well, you can lead a horse to water, but I can't believe it's not butter.

02:32:18 - 02:32:35 | Speaker 3:

Do you understand the power of a bad review? I am a social media master. I will get on Twitter. I will get on Yelp. I will get on TripAdvisor. I will get on every single website, and I will make sure that that burns down to the ground unless you get me those rooms.

02:32:36 - 02:32:40 | Speaker 4:

Social media master? That's a thing? Yeah, it's a thing.

02:32:41 - 02:32:42 | Speaker 3:

Now give me the manager to your hotel, please.

02:32:43 - 02:32:46 | Speaker 4:

Well, I am the manager on duty, sir. I'm sorry.

02:32:46 - 02:32:49 | Speaker 3:

All right, well, then I want the number to your corporate office.

02:32:50 - 02:32:54 | Speaker 4:

Oh, listen, have a root beer and take a seat. You're going to give yourself gas bubbles getting all upset like that.

02:32:54 - 02:33:00 | Speaker 3:

This is so f***ing, un-f***ing believable, incredibly un-f***ing professional.

02:33:01 - 02:33:01 | Unknown:

F***!

02:33:02 - 02:33:24 | Speaker 4:

Sir, can I be honest with you? This is actually Spike from the Mojo in the Morning Show, and you've just been phone scanned. all right you guys are hey have fun coach thanks if you could deal with me you could deal with nine screaming kids oh nine rooms worth yeah

02:33:24 - 02:33:38 | Speaker 1:

you've been phone scammed it's mojo in the morning's world famous phone scams

02:33:38 - 02:34:08 | Speaker 2:

mojo in the morning i actually always have considered uh spike a smart man like i would look at him and say man this guy is a smart guy until now and i cannot believe what came out of his mouth in front of his girlfriend it's mojo in the

02:34:08 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 4:

morning show i knew this story would get your attention i have to say that i've been in relationships long enough to kind of know where the line is not that i've never made mistakes before obviously i have but i think i kind of can feel it out and know where the line is to make a joke and when i've gone too far but i have to say i was led into it yesterday by a conversation we were hanging out with some friends and my girlfriend meg and her best friend were reminiscing about their olden days back on the east side hanging out back in the day where they used to go meet all the guys at the white parties at the beach club and all the places they would go hang out where is she from uh st claire shores oh okay so on the east side they used to go to all these parties and they were sitting there reminiscing all the guys showing pictures uh old photo albums

02:35:00 - 02:35:44 | Speaker 2:

of remember this guy from tin fish and remember that guy and and they were going through all these different stories so i just laid it out there and said listen you are she said you know thank goodness she that i ended up with her and she settled down and i said you're definitely one of the top five girls i've ever been with meg looked at me top five and i said yeah definitely Oh, with confidence, I could say you're one of the top five girls I've ever been with. And there was a long pause. And I could see on my friend Rafa's face, he's looking at me like, didn't you say that? And she said, cool, I made top five. And that was it. So I safely made the joke and got away with it.

02:35:44 - 02:35:46 | Speaker 1:

You were feeling a little jealous, huh?

02:35:47 - 02:35:59 | Speaker 2:

Not jealous. I was just bored. You just want to hand it back to her. Yeah, I was bored of the conversation. Be honest. You were jealous. You were jealous of all those East Side guys. No, she could, whatever came before me is fine with me.

02:35:59 - 02:36:02 | Speaker 1:

Did you, by the way, you saw pictures of these guys?

02:36:02 - 02:36:05 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, some good looking guys. Good looking guys? Well, first of all, all the guys.

02:36:05 - 02:36:11 | Speaker 1:

Does she have a type? Because I don't know Meg's ex or exes or any of those.

02:36:11 - 02:36:23 | Speaker 2:

She tells me her type that she always imagined she would end up with a guy with graphic t-shirt and Chuck Taylor Converse shoes on.

02:36:23 - 02:36:24 | Speaker 1:

Come on, she did not.

02:36:24 - 02:36:39 | Speaker 2:

No, this is what she always tells me. I don't believe it for a second. Listen, none of those guys in the Facebook albums from the back in the day, none of those guys fit the type she said she always knew she was going to end up with. Yeah. So maybe she just needed to get through those guys to find me.

02:36:40 - 02:37:01 | Speaker 1:

Because that's the interesting thing is when you look at the person that you are in a relationship with and their past and you see who it was that they were dating and you go, how the hell did I get into this whole thing? because I don't look at anything like the guys that Chelsea dated. Chelsea dated sandy brown hair, muscular, good-looking, skinny guys.

02:37:02 - 02:37:15 | Speaker 2:

All the guys were muscular. Now, to be fair, half these parties, you know, on the east side, when people come in off the boats and party, they already know they've worked on their body all summer. I worked on my body in the bar.

02:37:17 - 02:37:56 | Speaker 1:

I always have a stereotype of east side guys, and I always feel like east side guys, These side guys drive like Camaros or muscle cars and and they wear Massimo, you know, or, you know, they wear they they have they're the type of guys like east side guys in no offense, east side guys. You got to own it, though. But you guys, you're usually Italian, you know, usually Italian guys. And they talk like this, you know, they got kind of. Yeah, that's bro. Maybe a couple of Chaldean guys thrown in there, too, Eastside Chaldean guys. You do not resemble an Eastside guy.

02:37:56 - 02:38:28 | Speaker 2:

Well, no. The funny part is as her friend Tracy's scrolling through these photos, like, oh, remember Drago? Drago, and they have names like Drago. Remember this guy, Meldo, Casanova, Hercules, whatever? They're all like real manly names. And they're all these dudes with big pecs and six-pack abs. And as she's doing this I look down and realize I'm sitting there eating an entire box of Girl Scout cookies As she's scrolling through these photos You're one of the top five

02:38:28 - 02:38:43 | Speaker 1:

Did you ask her where you are? Where do you rank in the guys that she's been with? No I have no interest Are you in the top 25? We don't need to rank Did you make the NCAA Sweet 16?

02:38:43 - 02:38:44 | Speaker 2:

I wasn't even confident

02:38:44 - 02:38:45 | Speaker 1:

The 64 best teams

02:38:45 - 02:38:49 | Speaker 2:

I wasn't even confident I'd be in the top three in the room at the time I asked the question.

02:38:51 - 02:39:37 | Speaker 1:

844 Mojo Live, 844-665-6548. Do you ever get jealous about the person that you're in a relationship with, you know, in their past or when they reminisce? Chelsea just recently had her friend Jenny in, and this is how I met Chelsea. Chelsea's friend Jenny introduced Chelsea and I to each other. But they dated all these people over the years. Jenny just recently went through a divorce. And they are talking about stuff. And they're talking about high school friends and all the guys that were now high school friends that are single. And I'm listening to these stories about the high school friends that are now single who also have gone through, like, breakups and relationships. And I'm getting jealous as hell. And all I keep thinking to myself is, God, don't let BJ be on that list, the guy that.

02:39:38 - 02:39:39 | Speaker 2:

I remember you talking about BJ.

02:39:40 - 02:40:00 | Speaker 1:

I'm so jealous of this guy. BJ came to you know he's come to Chelsea's like you know grandfather's funeral and he's a good looking guy and it's like oh son of a I always but I I will say this about I think I'm I think I'm more successful than BJ I think I at least got that he's better looking but I've definitely got more success than he

02:40:00 - 02:40:05 | Speaker 3:

I don't know if that works when we start looking for qualifiers I think I have a better musical knowledge

02:40:05 - 02:40:12 | Speaker 7:

I do think that What's up Morgan, how you doing? Hey, good morning guys Good morning

02:40:12 - 02:40:20 | Speaker 2:

Hey, thank you, we were talking about how you got your body in the bar Yeah Never underestimate the power of those 16 ounce curls You don't get a body like that

02:40:20 - 02:40:27 | Speaker 3:

That's right, you should have seen my biceps Back when I was, you know, lifting the pints up to my lips every week

02:40:27 - 02:40:32 | Speaker 7:

That is so true What's going on? Hi, Naz.

02:40:32 - 02:40:37 | Speaker 6:

Hey, Mojo. Good morning, everybody. Good morning. How is everybody doing?

02:40:37 - 02:40:51 | Speaker 7:

You know what? We're good. You know what we're doing? We're all, like, trying to, like, breathe because we know that we got tomorrow's live broadcasts at Kennedy's Irish Pub and then Irish and Ionia on Saturday. So we got a busy next 48 hours.

02:40:51 - 02:40:55 | Speaker 6:

That sounds like a whole lot of fun. It's going to be great. It sounds like a whole lot of fun.

02:40:55 - 02:40:55 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

02:40:55 - 02:41:03 | Speaker 6:

Spike, you need to give yourself some credit. But Meg sounds absolutely lovely, but you put yourself down way too much, man.

02:41:05 - 02:41:13 | Speaker 7:

Why? Well, compliment him. Tell Spike what you think. Build him up a little bit. What is it on Spike or about Spike that makes him the most attractive?

02:41:15 - 02:41:16 | Speaker 6:

His sense of humor.

02:41:16 - 02:41:27 | Speaker 3:

I knew she was going to say sense. I felt it coming from a mile away. You know, you can hear the truck before it hits you. Every guy Loves to be told Your sense of humor

02:41:27 - 02:41:32 | Speaker 2:

I genuinely do I'm telling you

02:41:32 - 02:41:35 | Speaker 6:

You'll get more pee with a smile Than you will with anything else

02:41:35 - 02:41:44 | Speaker 3:

They told me that all through college As all the girls Love to be entertained by my sense of humor Right before they went out on dates with other guys

02:41:44 - 02:41:49 | Speaker 7:

And you have dreamy eyes, Spike You have dreamy eyes

02:41:49 - 02:41:50 | Speaker 6:

You got great pics

02:41:50 - 02:41:51 | Speaker 7:

Yes

02:41:52 - 02:41:53 | Speaker 6:

Pics or pecs?

02:41:53 - 02:41:57 | Speaker 7:

No, she said you're a great photographer. You're a great photographer. Yes. Great.

02:41:58 - 02:42:02 | Speaker 3:

Wonderful. I'm also great at parallel parking. You're hitting all the really good important parts.

02:42:03 - 02:42:05 | Speaker 7:

Caitlin, what's happening? It's Mojo in the Morning.

02:42:06 - 02:42:12 | Speaker 6:

So you have to be jealous and upset when he starts dating the girl you were jealous of while you guys were dating.

02:42:13 - 02:42:18 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The girl that he kept saying, she's just a friend.

02:42:18 - 02:42:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:42:19 - 02:42:22 | Speaker 1:

Stop worrying about her. Did that happen?

02:42:25 - 02:42:27 | Speaker 6:

But they're still closer friends than we are.

02:42:27 - 02:42:35 | Speaker 3:

Okay. I mean, that's just the meme come to life where they say versus the girl they told you not to worry about. Well, there it is.

02:42:35 - 02:43:13 | Speaker 7:

I cannot tell you how many people I know that are divorced and now in a relationship with somebody that they went to school with in the old days that they met back up on Facebook. Everybody that I know. They reconnect. is reconnecting with people that they went to high school or college with or grade school or whatever it might be. It's unreal, and it's wild because I'm looking at them making these posts about how they're together. Jeff Obradovich, my buddy Jeff Obradovich, and he and Joan Ippolito got together.

02:43:13 - 02:43:15 | Speaker 3:

I love when you use the full name.

02:43:15 - 02:43:25 | Speaker 7:

The weirdest part about the whole thing about those two being together is I cannot call Joan Obradovich. She is always going to be a Polito to me. Yeah. But they ended up getting back together again. How did you

02:43:25 - 02:43:29 | Speaker 3:

even find her on Facebook? Because I don't know how to spell a Polito. You know what it is?

02:43:30 - 02:43:51 | Speaker 7:

No, Jeff is because Jeff's the he was the coach of the local high school team. And I think her kid ended up playing at the high school. So they ended up getting together. And it's like, honestly, I remember middle school. This is no joke. St. Michael's in the middle school dance. And I remember them dancing to a Michael Jackson song together. It was wild. I swear to you, in the school gymnasium.

02:43:51 - 02:43:53 | Speaker 3:

It's a good story for them to tell their kids.

02:43:53 - 02:43:54 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, Vicki, what's up?

02:43:55 - 02:44:05 | Speaker 5:

Hey, I think that Spike, I've always kind of admired him. I think he's such a cool overall, like, really smart, just a cool guy. I think he's amazing. Thank you, Vicki.

02:44:05 - 02:44:10 | Speaker 7:

He wants to be effable. He does not want to be smart. I'm not fishing for compliments here.

02:44:10 - 02:44:20 | Speaker 5:

He's the type of girl that you can, like, have dinner with, chill with, just have fun with. I think he's amazing. I've always liked him. Thank you. That's amazing. Vicki, where do you want me to send the check?

02:44:21 - 02:44:28 | Speaker 7:

You're right. He's a good friend. Can somebody at least call up and say he's got a great ass or something like that?

02:44:29 - 02:44:31 | Speaker 3:

Then there will be drug testing.

02:44:31 - 02:44:32 | Speaker 1:

She's still laughing.

02:44:34 - 02:44:49 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning on iHeartRadio. Now number one for podcasts. Listen to the Mojo in the Morning show on iHeartRadio. And if you want to really have fun, listen to the More Mojo podcast. It's rated R fun with Mojo in the Morning.

02:44:52 - 02:44:53 | Speaker 7:

I should have played this. I should have.

02:44:55 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 2:

It's another Spike thinks he's smarter than he really is. Oh, no, that wasn't it.

02:44:59 - 02:45:00 | Speaker 7:

Hold up.

02:45:00 - 02:45:01 | Speaker 4:

No, no, there's one. There's one.

02:45:02 - 02:45:08 | Speaker 3:

Spike, he's a smartass. Sometimes when he talks, though, you realize he's not really smart. Just an ass.

02:45:08 - 02:45:26 | Speaker 4:

I was looking for the character ones. I got to preview all these ones. I got Megan down and Mike down for some reason because I think I use them all the time. Speaking of Megan, Megan, what happened when you were encountering the Girl Scout cookie salespeople?

02:45:26 - 02:46:26 | Speaker 2:

Well, here's the thing. I'm very familiar with people who tend to sell things that may or may not be legal, okay? And I've come to learn their tactics. And what's interesting to me is I can't tell if they've become reformed or if the moms are getting street smart. Because I've seen so many instances where, in my mind, I go, drug deal or Girl Scout cookie salesman. I was driving at the grocery store, and I was pulling out. My brother literally grabbed my arm. I thought I was about to hit an old lady because, you know, I'm a terrible driver. Turns out he got very excited because he wanted to make a deal. A woman had painted the side of her car with, like, that window paint, and it said something along the lines of, like, Girl Scout cookies, text, phone number. I was like, is that Girl Scout cookies? Please, because I'm interested, but also I'm interested in other things as well. Is this your front or is it not?

02:46:27 - 02:46:32 | Speaker 3:

You're thinking it might be something more? Like they're just using the Girl Scouts as a cover?

02:46:32 - 02:47:02 | Speaker 2:

Give me the drugs. I'm going to get the drug dealer. At this point, I'm looking for Snapchats. What happened to the good old-fashioned exploiting your children out at a table in front of popular areas or going door-to-door? because I know we're in a digital age, and I'm all for, like, posting the link up on your social medias. Let me buy. Let me support. I am the biggest fan of Girl Scout cookies, but y'all are getting sketchier and sketchier, and I'm starting to think that it's not actually Girl Scout cookies that you're selling.

02:47:03 - 02:47:11 | Speaker 4:

Can I tell you that the Girl Scout cookie kids nowadays are definitely much more aggressive than they were in the past?

02:47:11 - 02:47:15 | Speaker 5:

No. Not mine. Nope. I was going to say, not mine either, Mike.

02:47:15 - 02:47:18 | Speaker 3:

Not the kids. It's the parents that are forcing them to get out there.

02:47:18 - 02:47:49 | Speaker 4:

Then you need to go to the grocery store down the street from my house. I will keep it nameless so that they're not the ones responsible for this. And you go in front of there, and there's always the four Girl Scouts with their four moms there. And these kids are little a-holes. First off, they'll get you going in, which they always do get me. And I don't want the cookies. I'll just give them a donation. I'll just say, hey, here's $10 to put it towards your thing. And then on the way out, they act like they never saw you give them $10 on the way in.

02:47:50 - 02:47:52 | Speaker 3:

They hassle you on the way in and the way out?

02:47:52 - 02:47:53 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. It's unbelievable.

02:47:54 - 02:47:55 | Speaker 3:

Shake you down.

02:47:55 - 02:48:06 | Speaker 4:

Like, I'll walk by them confident that, hey, I already gave them my money. I don't need to actually do anything anymore. And then they go, are you going to buy Girl Scout cookies? And I'll be, oh, I gave you money on the way in. You did? One of those type of things.

02:48:06 - 02:48:17 | Speaker 5:

You know what I think it is? I think they look for whether or not you have cookies. And I genuinely don't think they remember your face. I think that they do it to every person that walks in. They see his money. Basically, yeah.

02:48:17 - 02:48:19 | Speaker 3:

You need to ask for a receipt for your donation.

02:48:20 - 02:48:25 | Speaker 4:

So, Megan, this car that you drove by had the number on there. Did you try to call it? You should have done that.

02:48:26 - 02:48:44 | Speaker 2:

No, because I got, okay, if you look at this vehicle, it's a little, what are you up to? You know what I'm saying? Oh, it's a little shady. A little hoopty? It's a little shady. I didn't say that. I didn't say that. Yeah? You insinuated. I don't know what you're talking about. I would never do that to somebody else's vehicle. That's rude, but.

02:48:45 - 02:49:32 | Speaker 1:

But you know what's so funny is, I mean, and Mike and I both admitted this year, we were kind of like, like, basically now they give you a link, you know, if you have a girl who's a daughter who's a Girl Scout and you can put it up on online or whatever and people can order. And people have been like tracking me down for certain cookies. So I get it. I mean, like reaching out to me through Instagram, Facebook, neighbors asking me when I'm walking the dog, like, how do I get the cookies? Like, well, it's already over. You have to find somebody at a grocery store. So I don't know what, like, yes, there are aggressive parents, 10,000%, but it's so funny because I feel like people haven't been able to find the cookie hookup as easily as they used to. And so they're like aggressive about these Raspberry Rally cookies that everybody wants so bad.

02:49:32 - 02:49:35 | Speaker 4:

Did you see what they're going for on eBay right now?

02:49:35 - 02:49:47 | Speaker 1:

Some of them, like those ones are going for a lot of money. Yeah. And actually our troop sold out of cookies. We were supposed to go to the grocery store and sell them next weekend, and they sent me an email saying, we literally have no more boxes of cookies. They've all sold out.

02:49:48 - 02:49:49 | Speaker 4:

Sasha, what's up?

02:49:49 - 02:49:50 | Speaker 2:

Hi, how are you?

02:49:51 - 02:49:55 | Speaker 4:

Good. What's going on? We're talking about the Girl Scout cookie sales people.

02:49:56 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. It was a hat stash. It was setting up right off of the hat stash.

02:50:00 - 02:50:02 | Speaker 1:

Hash Bash on Ann Arbor. Oh, my God.

02:50:02 - 02:50:05 | Speaker 3:

What a smart place to go sell them in front of Hash Bash.

02:50:05 - 02:50:06 | Speaker 1:

I know, right?

02:50:06 - 02:50:16 | Speaker 3:

Although they discouraged that. I heard that some moms wanted to put their kids in front of the, you know, the dispensaries, and I guess the Girl Scouts tell them no, they can't do that.

02:50:16 - 02:50:35 | Speaker 4:

I don't know how it is now, but when my girls were selling, this is going back a few years, but they would always give you a list of approved places, and they discouraged all, you know. It was when the dispensaries first started popping up, and they didn't want that association. Now it might be a different story knowing these are legal businesses and some of the parents just go rogue and do it anyway knowing they're going to sell a lot more.

02:50:35 - 02:50:42 | Speaker 3:

We'll have to ask because somebody told me that their kids were not allowed to sell in front of a party store, which is what we call liquor stores here in our town.

02:50:42 - 02:50:43 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, they do have pretty strict rules.

02:50:44 - 02:50:44 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Eric?

02:50:45 - 02:50:50 | Speaker 5:

I love to do that stuff. My daughter's just lazy about it this year. She doesn't want to do it. I don't know why. I don't know what it is.

02:50:51 - 02:50:52 | Speaker 7:

Honestly, what's the reward for the kids?

02:50:53 - 02:50:58 | Speaker 4:

It's always real low. The reward, you sell a zillion boxes and you get-

02:50:58 - 02:51:02 | Speaker 7:

Bulls. We got bulls last year. Cool. Bulls, pantines, some socks.

02:51:02 - 02:51:03 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, socks.

02:51:03 - 02:51:08 | Speaker 7:

The girls are just exploiting these children, and I love it, and I buy every time, and I encourage it.

02:51:08 - 02:51:28 | Speaker 4:

The rewards, and they did get money for the troop to be able to go on field trips and stuff, camping. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But the rewards the individual kids get as top sellers, it's similar to going to Dave and Buster's and trading in your tickets for- Yeah, I know. The worst moment. It's the worst. The little rubber ball that you spend $18. Oh, my God. The Chinese- What do you call it? The little finger trap.

02:51:29 - 02:51:30 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Eric, what's up?

02:51:31 - 02:51:31 | Unknown:

Hey, how you doing?

02:51:32 - 02:51:33 | Speaker 3:

Good, man. What's going on?

02:51:34 - 02:51:40 | Speaker 1:

So I just, when I see people selling not just Girl Scout cookies, but other stuff, I just act like I'm on my phone and they don't bother me.

02:51:40 - 02:52:10 | Speaker 7:

See, I can't, okay, so I'm the kind of person where I moved into a neighborhood, I'm very happy there's a lot of little kids, and in the neighborhood I grew up in, I was like the youngest, so there wasn't little ones around anywhere, and so I feel bad every time my drive or walk my dog by them, I have to stop and buy some. Especially because nowadays you can't even say I don't have any cash on me. They all take Venmo. They all take whatever. They'll take your credit cards. They'll take everything. And I'm going broke on Girl Scout cookies. I can't keep

02:52:10 - 02:52:21 | Speaker 4:

stopping. And you forget the part that Megan said, even though she wants to ignore them and not buy cookies, she's also maybe a little curious to make sure they might not be selling something. Liz?

02:52:22 - 02:52:23 | Speaker 3:

What's going on, Liz? It's Mojo in the morning.

02:52:24 - 02:52:48 | Speaker 6:

Hi, guys. I just wanted to reiterate what Shannon said. I'm a troop leader and a cookie mom, and people have stopped me in my car asking me if I have cookies in my car. Yes, like truly. Yeah, and my daughter, the Ann Arbor area is completely out of cookies, so people now are like, I know you have some in your garage. I know you do.

02:52:48 - 02:52:52 | Speaker 5:

You guys sound like you're on drugs. I need my fix. I need my fix.

02:52:52 - 02:53:10 | Speaker 3:

Well, that's the thing. I think we all are on drugs, and we need our fix. We need our fix. Everybody's doing some form of marijuana, and I think that we're all hungry for Girl Scout cookies. Why don't they just sell them in a grocery store? Sell them in an aisle down Meijer or Kroger. Well, they're supposed to be.

02:53:10 - 02:53:11 | Speaker 7:

They do?

02:53:11 - 02:53:12 | Speaker 3:

They do? They do?

02:53:13 - 02:53:33 | Speaker 7:

They're a big company who makes exact knockoffs. Oh, yeah, they're not the real deal. It doesn't go back to the troops. I was like, what was it? I thought, who was that? I get it. No, I totally get it. I do it because I As a girl who went to Camp Libby I understand I want to support I love it But it is for a couple of months Out of here and when they're not around You can get them

02:53:33 - 02:53:36 | Speaker 3:

I was like who's Do we have a new person on the show

02:53:36 - 02:53:46 | Speaker 7:

That's what I like to call my goblin side And she sneaks out sometimes And she gives you the fakes I'm like where to get the treats that you don't really want to see

02:53:46 - 02:53:50 | Speaker 5:

All right top trending stories

02:53:50 - 02:54:22 | Speaker 3:

Of the day We got to start off with this one. It could be bad news. You better be careful. Remember back when Trump was president and he said that he was going to ban TikTok? That was the thing that made everybody all upset? Well, guess what? Now the Biden administration says that if TikTok doesn't sell, they are going to ban TikTok. The Biden administration is demanding that the Chinese-owned TikTok be sold or the federal government is going to ban it.

02:54:22 - 02:54:49 | Speaker 8:

This morning, the Biden administration is demanding that TikTok's Chinese owners sell their stake in the company or the app could be banned in the United States. The demand marks an escalation from the administration as the White House looks to resolve national security concerns about the app, with many worried the Chinese government could force TikTok to hand over Americans' user data. The director of the FBI last week said the app, quote, screams of security concerns.

02:54:50 - 02:54:59 | Speaker 2:

Could they use TikTok to control data on millions of users? Yes. Could they use it to control the software on millions of devices?

02:55:00 - 02:55:14 | Speaker 4:

given the opportunity to do so. Yes. Reigning in TikTok has won bipartisan support, but some Republicans want an outright ban. This company should be banned. I don't know why they're allowed to operate in the United States. Republicans overnight responding to the administration's

02:55:14 - 02:55:28 | Speaker 1:

new threat. I think they're right. On this phone that everybody has, TikTok is able to harvest your data all the time and provide it through ByteDance to the Chinese Communist Party. The

02:55:28 - 02:56:07 | Speaker 4:

White House has until recently been more reluctant to ask TikTok's Chinese owners to sell their shares, looking instead to work with the app to install data safeguards. But last week, the White House came out in support of bipartisan legislation that could be used to ban the app. In a statement, TikTok said the best way to address concerns about national security is with the transparent U.S.-based protection of U.S. user data and systems, with robust third-party monitoring, vetting and verification which we are already implementing tiktok's chief executive is scheduled to testify before a house committee next week very interesting um people yes are

02:56:07 - 02:56:12 | Speaker 5:

we gonna start blending all of the social media platforms then well this one's because of the

02:56:12 - 02:56:16 | Speaker 3:

this one's china backed which is also a lot of the hackers that have been compromising state

02:56:16 - 02:56:25 | Speaker 2:

government and businesses over the last six seven years um but you're okay with it as long as you You can watch the videos that you watch.

02:56:25 - 02:56:27 | Speaker 5:

I'm just nervous about any kind of censorship.

02:56:27 - 02:56:28 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Well, listen.

02:56:28 - 02:56:44 | Speaker 5:

I feel like without TikTok, I would not have the understanding of what happened in Ukraine as much as I do. I agree with that. That, to me, is nervous that you're taking away what can be. I look at TikTok more like a Wikipedia. It's a great jumping point.

02:56:44 - 02:56:58 | Speaker 3:

Well, yeah, but you're missing the point. This isn't the Biden administration or the Trump administration censoring anything on the user end of what you post. This is saying the owners on the backdoor side are stealing information and have full access to your phone.

02:56:58 - 02:57:11 | Speaker 5:

But so does Twitter. So does Facebook. So does everything else. But they have guidelines. The difference is we have an American owner and a Chinese owner. But you don't think that it's dangerous that somebody owns that information, period? Yeah, but they can't. You're getting real murky here.

02:57:11 - 02:57:15 | Speaker 3:

If it's from another country, they can't regulate or investigate.

02:57:15 - 02:57:32 | Speaker 5:

But they're not regulating Facebook. They don't even understand it. Like when we look at how our laws are passed, they're so late to everything. Because they don't, like, especially when you see Zuckerberg go in front of our Congress and they ask questions that aren't even relevant. They don't understand the platform. How do they know what they're doing with the information?

02:57:33 - 02:57:43 | Speaker 3:

Well, the biggest issue I saw in one of the stories yesterday was they're saying a lot of government workers still use TikTok on their government-issued phones. And that's, like, such a security risk.

02:57:44 - 02:57:46 | Speaker 2:

Governor Whitmer does. It's banned by—

02:57:46 - 02:57:49 | Speaker 3:

She has a separate phone that she does her TikToks from.

02:57:49 - 02:57:56 | Speaker 2:

It was revealed by, I think it was Cranes, that she still uses it, even though it's a government phone.

02:57:56 - 02:58:02 | Speaker 3:

Well, the story you sent us, she says she has a government phone, and then she has a separate phone, personal phone, that she does the TikToks from.

02:58:03 - 02:58:09 | Speaker 2:

So, the latest supply chain issue, there's now a shortage of jelly beans.

02:58:09 - 02:58:10 | Speaker 6:

I saw that.

02:58:11 - 02:58:38 | Speaker 2:

Customers across the country haven't been able to purchase jelly beans this time for Easter. The unique recipe contains pectin and a starch from Ukraine. And because it's coming from Ukraine, they don't have the ability to be able to make enough. Here's a wild one. Want to lose weight? Drinking three cups of coffee every day could curb obesity and prevent diabetes.

02:58:38 - 02:58:40 | Speaker 6:

I'm so happy you said it that way.

02:58:40 - 02:58:48 | Speaker 2:

Three cups of coffee a day, but this is not the sugary coffee. So you can't get that brown shaking thing that you got yesterday.

02:58:48 - 02:58:52 | Speaker 3:

I'm on my third cup, but the problem is I also dump sugar in my coffee. You put sugar in your coffee.

02:58:53 - 02:59:06 | Speaker 2:

It's got to be black coffee. So if you drink three cups of black coffee, they say it reduces the level of sugars in your body and also makes you not eat as much. I actually find this to be true. I don't eat as much when I'm drinking coffee.

02:59:06 - 02:59:19 | Speaker 6:

So I drink only black coffee for the most part. And I probably drink two cups while I'm here. Maybe sometimes three. But then I feel like the whole rest of the day, I crave sugar. So it kind of backfires.

02:59:19 - 02:59:22 | Speaker 2:

Well, then keep drinking coffee. Then you need to spread out your coffee.

02:59:22 - 02:59:27 | Speaker 3:

You need one more cup. You just be shaking. What's wrong, guys?

02:59:28 - 03:00:00 | Speaker 2:

This is pretty wild. So the search engines are saying that destinations for vacations, Disney has fallen out of the top internet searches for travel destinations. as the prices are outrageous nowadays. The group that does the family travel says that national parks, beaches, even Elvis' Graceland, the Grand Canyon, and Universal Studios Florida are higher than Disney or Disney.

03:00:00 - 03:00:26 | Speaker 9:

disney world the only place that disney does well is in california and it's disneyland and i i don't know if that has to do with people having like memberships that uh or ways to get in there because of the uh they live in that area but that's interesting for the first time ever though disney is not one of the most searched destinations for vacations they even say that europe is like more searched now than disney people look at the fact that they could probably travel out of the

03:00:26 - 03:00:39 | Speaker 3:

country to go somewhere cheaper than going that that paris trip you know and i just looked at tickets for florida this summer our tickets to paris were cheaper than the flight prices to

03:00:39 - 03:00:54 | Speaker 4:

florida this summer i tell people that all the time you can search for deals yeah you can't get deals in disney it's it's like impossible right now it's so expensive but you can really get good deals if if you can have options of when to fly to europe and where to fly out and honestly the

03:00:54 - 03:01:29 | Speaker 9:

The last, I think it was last 60 days, airline prices have almost doubled in price. They're insane. They say that a lot has to do with the fact that they don't have enough employees, so they're going to use less. They say that this summer they're going to actually have less flights going out because of the issues that they're having, trying to staff. All right. That does it for today. We will be back tomorrow. Megan, don't worry. No TikTok is getting banned yet. What would you do with your time? Think about that if they banned TikTok. You would have, like, so much more time to do things.

03:01:29 - 03:01:31 | Speaker 1:

Are you okay? Are you crying? Me? No, I'm fine. Oh, I thought you got...

03:01:31 - 03:01:33 | Speaker 9:

Where's that voice again?

03:01:33 - 03:01:35 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I'm so upset.

03:01:36 - 03:01:42 | Speaker 9:

Who's that voice that you used when you were talking about the Girl Scout cookies? Is he being TikTok?

03:01:42 - 03:01:45 | Speaker 4:

What are they going to do with the TikTok? We're going to have to read books again.

03:01:45 - 03:01:48 | Speaker 5:

Let me have my voice talk to your voice, sir.

03:01:49 - 03:02:09 | Speaker 9:

Hey, guess what, guys? Tomorrow morning, we're live at Kennedy's Irish Pub. We get to hang out and do a live show in front of a live. Actually, we're live every day. Why would I say live show? But it's a show in front of a live studio audience. It's kind of nice. We actually have to dress nice tomorrow, right?

03:02:10 - 03:02:13 | Speaker 2:

That's the annoying part about live broadcasts out in public.

03:02:14 - 03:02:43 | Speaker 9:

It's going to be fun. Throwback throwdown, phone scam, the dirty, all of the stuff that we talk about on the show, live in front of you, Kennedy's Irish Pub. Get there early. It is a small venue, so that means it's going to pack up fast. And then Saturday, if we don't see you on tomorrow's broadcast, we will see you Saturday, Irish and Ionia in Grand Rapids.
