So I'm on my way out there, and my best buddy since kindergarten is Brad, and I was talking to Brad Yeager on the way out there, and we talk usually like maybe two or three times a week. It's weird. We just like randomly, it was like check-ins, boom, go. He does appliance repair for a living. So he goes to homes and fixes appliances. So he will either call me if something weird has happened on one of his, you know, jobs, or he'll call me in between jobs. Like he's had the weirdest stuff happen. Like he's had women like walk in in their underwear, like while he's, you know, inside of the washer machine, like fixing it and stuff. That's dream stuff, right? He's had, somebody had a goat as a pet. That was like the weirdest thing, I swear to you, in the living room, I'm telling you, he's got a million stories. So we're driving, and I tell him, I go, yeah, I'm going to lunch today. And he goes, don't eat soup. And I go, what do you mean, don't eat soup? He goes, you can't eat soup. And I said, why can't I eat soup? He says, men cannot eat soup. You do not look manly eating soup. And I'm, like, thinking to myself, first off, I wasn't going to eat soup, but now you bring up food. I want to eat it. You know what I mean? Like, I love it. You like your cream of celery. I love it. I do. I love a good soup. And so he said to me, he goes, and by the way, you've got to tell me this. So random. You got to tell me there's certain, you know, there are any guys out there listening. I know we got a lot of truckers and stuff that listen. You guys ever eat soup? He said, guy sitting there with a spoon trying to eat liquid is not good. And he told me that he saw something. He's a big barstool guy. He saw something on barstool once that made him go, I'll never eat soup again. And I'm like, you're doing this based off of barstool?

Soup is for women. Men cannot eat soup. It's way too girly. You're going to take a little spoon and put it up to your little lips and you're going to swallow a tiny little spoon. You're going to swallow a teaspoon full of food. It's weird. It's wrong. Men should not have soup ever. It's weird. It's not manly. You need to eat only meat at all times with your hands. It's just odd. Soup is weird. It's weird like that.

Okay, so that was what he's going off of, that you cannot eat soup. And I'm like, okay, now I'll never be able to go to the soup ever again. Is that place still around?

I don't know. It used to be one in Southfield. I think maybe. I kind of agree, though. Really? Yeah, a little bit. Two things I agree with. One, you can't be slurping like.

Well, that's for men and women.

Chicken noodle soup. I don't mind a woman doing it.

You can't do like a bunch of noodles.

You can do it at home. But the other thing is like you got to pucker your lips to cool it off if it's steaming hot. You can't be sitting up there going.

What's all his orders? If there's French onion soup on the menu, that man orders it, even if it's 100 degrees outside. So then you have to watch him, like, stretch the cheese out and try to figure out, like, how he's going to get the cheese in his mouth politely.

Does he ever have the cheese drip down his, like, on his beard?

Of course.

The other thing that Brad was telling me is a guy cannot lick an ice cream cone. Like, you can't just stand on the side of the road licking an ice cream cone. And these are grown-ass men. Little boys can. Like, you can do that if you want to. You can't do it. Remember Johnny Dare used to tell me that no man should ever drink from a cocktail straw?

Yeah. The little teeny tiny skinny straws.

owners are going to consider some proposals to ban the tush push and also for a change to playoff seating format this offseason i know the detroit lions proposed for current playoff seating to allow wildcard teams to be seated higher than division winners if the wildcard team has a better regular season record division winners with the conference's best record would still receive the number one seed, but the other seeds would be determined by records instead of considering if they won their division or finished as a wildcard team. These proposals, I'm told, are going to be considered when NFL team owners meet for their annual league meetings later this month. Doesn't that seem fair?

Well, it does and it doesn't, only because now we're in the toughest conference in division in the NFL. We've got so many teams that are good. I don't know if this will benefit the Lions.

I vote yes. You think so? I think if you play the season and you have a winning record, you should get in. There are teams that are in terrible divisions that win eight or nine games and they still get in just because they're the best in a terrible division. I don't think that's fair. So I will vote yes on that, and I will vote to keep the tush push. Really?

As soon as she pulled away from getting that ticket, she said she accidentally started speeding again, got busted all again, and arrested that time. Her mugshot is her looking absolutely gorgeous. Big, big smile, bright white teeth, perfect hair and makeup.

To me, it's just funny. Because, I mean, I understand. It's surprising that I got arrested for speeding. And my mugshot, it's just I was smiling because I always smile for a photo, you know?

Hi. So I didn't get, I literally just got in my car heading to work. I didn't get to hear the whole segment, but I heard the part about the parents cheating, and I had to call in.

So it wasn't me. it was actually my sister which I'm 23 now and she's 27 and this was back when we were in middle school um but she like we really liked watching shows with like mystery whatever and she watched so many shows about like where the plot line would have someone like having an affair cheating that like she started to kind of pick up on the tendencies I guess she's very empathetic anyways at like I think she was like age 12 she had a feeling that like my dad was cheating and so one night she went on his phone and like looked at his messages and literally found all of the messages of him having an affair for like years and she went and confronted him about it at like 11 and he denied the whole thing he was like like how dare you ask me that don't ever like ask me about this again like this is so wrong and then she went to my mom about it and then obviously he was having an affair for like both of my parents marriage honestly um and then yeah they

ended up getting his horse. Wow. God, that's amazing though. All off of just being an 11 year old watching TV. What were some of the things that he was doing that were tipping

her off? Um, he was staying out like really, really late and like, we were all kind of kind of noticing it, but like, he just kept telling like my mom and everyone, like, you know, had to work really late, whatever. And then he, he's a hunter. So he was going on Like, a lot of hunting trips, like, way more, maybe not even during hunting season.

And coming back with nothing?

Right, exactly. Like, yeah, no game, nothing was out there. No veal. And he was also just really mad with us a lot. Like, he, like, didn't want to get home. Like, he wanted to be elsewhere. He just seemed really angry.

That's sad. Some of the signs were there. You always hate to hear that. And then, you know, it starts changing his mood and stuff like that. That gets to be very sad. Olivia caught, wait, you caught your dad cheating, Olivia? How old were you at the time that you caught your dad?

I was 15 years old when I caught my dad cheating.

He picked me up from school for lunch and was going to take me out to lunch that day. And he actually picked me up in his girlfriend's brand new BMW.

How do you explain whose car it was? um he I asked him whose car it was and he said you wouldn't believe me if I told you and I said well who's is it and he said that it was his girlfriend's car and he ended up bringing me to his girlfriend's house not the same day a different day but ended up bringing me to the girlfriend's house and I remember like writing down her address and like getting all the information I could to send to my stepmom because I was like best friends with my stepmom at the

time why would he do that so he wanted to get caught yeah yeah he yeah i don't know what his

deal was at the time i mean it was like a crazy situation but yeah they ended up getting divorced and that's unreal is he now with the girl who had the bmw no no he he's with a different girl

So my girlfriend and I were driving to pick up my sister at my aunt's house, and a light came on on the dashboard. So I look in the glove box to find the user manual, and there was a pair of women's underwear in the glove box. It was, yeah, yep.

I would, like, play, like, games on my dad's phone with him, and I would, like, notice that he started, like, texting these other phone numbers, and I was old enough to know that, like, that's not my mom's phone number. And then my mom was, like, constantly on the phone, too, and so I, like, told each other. I was like, do you guys know why you guys are always on the phone with other people? And it turned out that they were actually both cheating on each other, and I spilled the beans.

Man, do you think they were both relieved that each other was doing it so they could get out of the relationship?

Well, they actually ended up sticking it out for, like, eight more years and then got divorced after I turned 18.

Shannon, I heard this Eminem story yesterday. It was right after the show where that story broke. And I'm thinking to myself, man, who is this guy? I can't believe it. What's going on?

Well, a former employee of Eminem has been charged with leaking his music online. Joseph Strange worked for Marshall from 2007 to 2021. He has been charged with criminal infringement of copyright and interstate transportation of stolen goods in connection with the sale of some of Eminem's unreleased music. So here's what happened. Back in January, the FBI was contacted by an employee at M&M's studio in Ferndale, Ferndale, Michigan, after they found some of M's music that he was still working on listed for sale on various websites. And certain employees recognized this as an image that was taken directly from a hard drive in the Ferndale studio. So they knew immediately what was going on. The FBI eventually tracked down those.

who purchased eminem's unreleased music and they then outed this joseph strange guy as the one who had sold it to them so if he's convicted on the copyright charge he faces a max of five years in prison and a 250 000 fine as for the charge of stolen goods a max of 10 years in prison

Aren't you putting a huge target on your back to narrow it down to a few people? Dumb. Dumb.

Shady records, huh? The key witness or person of interest in the disappearance of spring breaker Sudiksha Konaki, his name is Joshua Ribe, left Punta Cana yesterday and headed home, but not without a little snag. So the prosecutor's office in the Dominican Republic told him they were returning his passport so he could go home. Because obviously they had to hold onto his passport while he was being questioned for whatever reason. And it had to do with privacy. And I don't understand this, but he was like, no, keep that one. He applied for a new passport at the U.S. consulate in the Dominican Republic, which was issued right away to him. That passport didn't have the correct stamp on it. So he was detained during a layover in Puerto Rico, held for questioning. I don't know. The New York Post is updating the story. They just updated it about 16 minutes ago. I don't know if he's still stuck in Puerto Rico.

I saw a video this morning that looked like he was home, though.

Police are on their way, and they're telling employees, please take immediate personal safety measures and follow the run, hide, fight guidelines.

We're keeping our eyes on that one, too, just to get confirmation on everything. 7.30 in the morning.

Kanye West calling out Kim Kardashian and her family yet again, this time labeling them as sex workers and accusing them of trafficking black children, including his own. So he went on a rant on X about that. And then earlier this week, and I totally forgot to talk about this yesterday, but I'll kind of lop it into this story. He attacked Beyonce and Jay-Z's twins in a separate rant on X, started out questioning seven-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir's mental capacity, deleted it, re-shared it yesterday morning. But then he tweeted this. I need everyone to know that I took the post about Jay-Z and Beyonce's family down because there was a possibility of my Twitter being canceled. He then made another dig at the twins' intelligence. Nothing about Blue Ivy.

Why is he a problem?

Actress Christina Applegate has been hospitalized more than 30 times during her battle with multiple sclerosis.

I've been in the hospital upwards of 30 times from throwing up and diarrhea and pain that is unimaginable. They've done every test known to man on me, put so much radiation into my body from CT scans to everything else.

She's been very, very open about her health battles and encourages her followers to talk to your doctors about everything, even if it's a little embarrassing. That's why she's sharing this story. God, MS is so scary. Yeah. And lastly, Ed Sheeran said that his new album and its first single are done and ready to go. I thought he quit right now. Done and ready to go. Doing music and stuff. So there's a video he shared of him dancing in the studio with his producer to this new song. It's called Azizam. I kind of like it. What's he doing? I really like it. I kind of like it. I don't know if I have like the Webster's or the Miriam definition, but my thought process on trauma bonding is you go through some real hard stuff in your life that produces trauma and then you connect with someone who has had either the same experience or their own trauma and through your traumas you guys find a commonality in the ground and you guys are together at that point and the only reason why you have this bond is through your trauma and i i'm not necessarily am and am i am not necessarily in a vulnerable state i would say but how do you know if you're trauma bonding with someone because I want to I don't want that to happen and nine times out of ten when I'm interested in someone I have deep conversations and we talk about the hardest things in our life and that somehow some way that's how I connect with people almost immediately whether it's the the first day or the second time we speak we get to the real stuff in our lives pretty quickly and I don't think that I'm captain savior of anything But I feel like, you know, maybe there's a little boy in me that wasn't saved and I see that in other people and we have these deep connections and I want to ensure that that's not why we're connecting.

So did you feel like you've had this in relationships?

For sure. Yeah. Because that's the type of person we get deep.

Can you be successful in a trauma bonding relationship? Like, or does it, does your trauma, does, does it compile on top of each other and make it really more difficult for you? I don't know if that's healthy because they say opposites attract sometimes though the trauma is your your commonality and then it seems like that's a lot the question that you asked at the

beginning was how do I know if I'm in a relationship and it's trauma bonding that's keeping us together and I feel like I would say if that is something that you just constantly talk about I understand having deep conversations with people and that's what helps develop a connection and if there is that common trauma that you've identified that and you've you've shared but if you guys keep going back to whatever that trauma is that to me would be a sign that that's what's keeping the relationship together and i i i feel like i i i don't know if in many cases that's enough to keep to make a relationship successful yeah uh 844 mojo live

Like I know that there are some relationships where it's like you guys both experienced a similar thing. And I feel like it would make it really, really tough because you both have gone through it. And I am sure at times things pop up over time. And what happens if they both pop up at the same time and then now you got, you're, you know, trying to decide who's, because I feel like, I feel like in my relationship that things pop up in my relationship and they stagger a little bit, which thank God they do. Because otherwise if Chelsea's issues come up at the same time that my issues come up, it would be very difficult for both of us to have to try to deal with.

But you could say that about any relationship, whether it's trauma bonded or not. Like if you guys are having issues at the same time, it can be overwhelming. I think with trauma bonding specifically, a lot of times people feel like that's the only person who truly understands me.

Yeah. I get it. There's that, you know, that you have something in common that you can deal with.

But like Shannon, I agree. Like they always say the healthiest relationships are actually the ones where you bond over your mutual hatred instead of your mutual likeness of something. So you don't have a stronger connection that you, with somebody you agree with on everything, but rather you hate the same thing. But my whole point was you can't just hate everything together. So even though that's a stronger connection, you can't just hate things.

Jessica wants to correct something that was said. What did you want to say?

Hey, so trauma bonding, an easy way to describe what it is, is somebody is doing something traumatic to you, whether it's like mental emotional abuse whatever and the only way you feel better is because they do something else to you whether they treat you nicely whether you have relationships later on they are the ones who that's the bond now i thought that trauma

bonding could be like we both experienced some sort of um tragedy together a lot of people have trauma bonded when they were like stuck on that um that island that had the volcano go off and they lost a lot of their loved ones and had to be life flighted off of the island and i believe there were some relationships that formed from people on that island because they had been through this horrific experience together so it's not necessarily partner on partner crime that's not the right word but you know what i mean uh bad behavior but necessarily

like just going through something it could be i think some of this might lean on codependency too and these words are thrown around so much lately but i don't think just connecting with somebody at a very deep level very quickly i don't i wouldn't call that trauma bonding you bring up

a really interesting point about saying that these things come up lately like this i i feel like sometimes people just hear words or phrases and then they associate themselves to it and it becomes something that just trends and and where in reality it's like we all got stuff you know what i mean we all got our our spit i think there's a difference between people finding

something super relatable like i remember when mansplaining became a word and that blew up quickly because a lot of women had experience being mansplained too but i agree with you wholeheartedly mojo that a big term will come up that's gaslighting and you're like triggering

all right we're overusing it uh what's up bianca hi good morning good morning um you made a really good point like people hear the word and just relate to it i feel like people hear the word trauma and they instantly think it has to be a bad thing i'm in nursing school and people often have told me like you're going to meet some of your best friends in nursing school the trauma of being stressed out and broke in nursing school we all bonded over that we've made some solid friendships and it doesn't have to be bad like we're like oh my god we survived that's a really great point bad trauma they say the same thing about master's programs like the people who do

the the expedited one-year process you spend so much time in such a high level of stress with

people that you become very connected exactly it doesn't always have to be a negative thing and it doesn't even always have to be the start of a relationship you could be in a relationship and because it doesn't even have to be shared trauma you supported somebody through their trauma and now because you were that support system now you guys are bonded through that it doesn't always mean it's built off of negativity you survived that trauma you're still here to talk about it you're you're you guys grow together from that so it's not always a bad thing thank you for the

on buddy you wanted to talk about this yeah so i feel like i agree like i feel like it doesn't always have to be a negative type of thing you know positive relationships relationships can come out of that that trauma bond you know um i also feel like there is a lot of like toxicity with the dependency on like in like a relationship say with like a partner like when it comes to a partner you feel like nobody understands you or your problems besides that person and no matter how bad they treat you you feel like you need them and like there's no other option besides that person when in reality you're just putting all your all your trauma with them so so so is it is it codependency then you become codependent it pulls in that whole codependency part of the toxic toxic relationship you know that that trauma bond drags that into your relationship i believe reggie what do you do reggie what do you do for me i do a lot i'm uh i'm a painter right now i'm

Good morning. So, hello there. I wanted to make sure that everyone kind of, I just want to draw attention to the fact that what Kevin is probably experiencing is more of a trauma dumping. See, trauma bonding is actually an equal and opposite to love bombing. So, what happens in a very unhealthy relationship, the abuser is actually both the cause and the cure of the victim's sort of state of being. So they get love bombed, and then ultimately they have the, you know, negative downfall of the unhealthy abusive behaviors, and then that person who's been abused is, like, hungry for that love bombing stage, and so they kind of flip-flop them back and forth. Now, trauma dumping is more so when you get together and just commiserate over your, you know, past or current situations, and that person is a constant source of comfort during your trauma dumping stages. but um to just put proper terminology about you know behind the experiences being discussed i

currently um unemployed as a very recently okay that i'm sure it's just a temporary situation

But of course, we do know that there are lots of parking spaces around there. people would be arriving, getting out of cars, and that means that those people might find themselves with a little less protection than those inside the hospital. That said, we do know that you can get inside the hospital. They don't treat hospitals like other types of targets. It's not like going into a government building where you're going through metal detectors. So even hospitals are, that hospital might be a harder target than the parking lot, but not a fortified

target at all. And again, we don't know if this happened inside the hospital, outside the hospital, one of these adjacent buildings near the main hospital campus, but just, I don't know if we have a map ready yet, but we're trying to work on that. This particular health facility is located just south of M59 on Dequinder Road in Troy. This is right near the city of Sterling Heights Nature Preserve not far from there and is also sandwiched by the Donald J. Flynn Park

which just tuning in right now there was a sanctuary an alert of an active shooter at one of the Detroit area hospitals the Corwell Health

So they're actually blocking off all of Dequinder at this moment right now. So the police are actively on the scene, you can pretty much tell.

wxyz channel 7 the abc affiliate in detroit deputy vehicle i would say at least two dozen emergency vehicles are officially on scene right now let me grab michelle real quick though michelle are you there i am so michelle uh bring us up to speed on this one here lydia was telling me that She was talking to you. Your mom is barricaded in one of the bathrooms at the hospital?

Yeah, my mom and my sister, and she just texted. I was trying to call, and they can't take any calls. They only can text.

so they just came to the door they're getting counts of how many people are in but they're saying do not move stay right where you're at okay and so has she heard anything

in bathrooms or their rooms or and nobody's allowed to move and no phone call okay i know

you're worried about your mom you're worried about your mom i'm sure in this situation but also probably with whatever the medical thing is that she's there for right so um but i just was calling to let you know i didn't want to yeah um anyway no we're we're we're keeping our our you know eyes on this one but we're also praying for everybody there but praying for your mom too that uh i appreciate it okay and we're very scary and i don't and i don't want to bring up anything that uh we know because i feel like there's no information there's no nobody i'm checking everything right now and i one of the one of the conversations i had with uh sheriff bouchard literally like a year or so ago uh talking about the oxford shooting situation and or you know What happened there at the school was there was definitive, there was a shooting, people actually knew what was going on. But there's been a lot of of these where people will say there's an active shooter in places and the police will show up. And the problem is it almost becomes a panic.

And so we got to just be really careful and we can't report anything that that we don't know to be fact.

Did you see what happened in that cheerleading competition that went super viral on TikTok where people were like fleeing the cheerleading competition because they thought there was a shooter? but i don't think there was it was just like some sort of altercation with a loud noise and people like not to say that that's what's happening here but things can yeah we don't have information and

that's it you don't scream fire in a crowded theater right right no and i and i think that's what one of the things that we got to be uh be careful with and i'm watching uh the news and

And it looks like the local ABC affiliate is the one that's been covering it the most. And I hate to say it, but there's really covering. They're not saying anything that has given us any indication of here's something that we know. So a lot of it is just speculating off of tweets. And let me go to this one real quick. This is the NBC affiliate.

This is very preliminary, but I can tell you that this entire area shot down DeQuinder from 19 Mile or Long Lake all the way up to M59 shut down completely as is the west and the east side of this campus and also Jason Aranda remember that this campus spans two different cities on the west side of Dequinder is Troy on the east side of this is Sterling Heights so a lot of information still yet to come but what we know so far is that they are still trying to assess what's happening if there is an active shooter and you can see from this presence that's certainly what it appears to

be and certainly anybody that has loved ones that are there being cared for or anyone that

you have loved ones that work uh hold on we got a we got a tweet from uh the troy police and the troy police say we can confirm that there has been a shooting at corwell health beaumont troy hospital this appears to be an isolated incident however the suspect is not in custody please avoid the area media staging area will be set up on troy training center so that so there actually is confirmation officially from the troy police department's uh twitter on x that does confirm that there was a shooting no word other than what i just read to you just a second ago so i just want to make sure that we be are real careful with what we say and

what we you know speaking of that delivered to you how do we define active shooter because when i hear that i'm thinking somebody out there shooting whoever whatever i always i always

just think it's somebody who obviously was involved in this shooting that they have not captured yet so it's just somebody shot that they have not been able to de-escalate the situation

so he or she is still out there so yeah so it could be it could i mean i think there could have been in this case here could have been a shooting that took place but they just don't have the person yet and they're just telling people be warned that there is somebody out

there that was shooting right now that you could have been directly in the line of fire i was just

walking in we were just going to walk in another co-worker and i so very frantic especially when i saw police on the um parking structure with guns i was scared so i left the parking lot with my

I think you just do it. Do you? I always notice couples who are seated at the same table, clearly on a date with each other, whether they're dating or married or whatever, and both are on their phones and they're just not talking. And it makes me so uncomfortable to watch.

It almost communicates without communicating that you're not important right now.

There was an alert that was sent out that there was a shooter that possibly shot. I don't know if they even confirmed yet that it was shot anybody, but that they did not catch them. So we will keep up to that day.

So a friend of mine is a nurse there, and the FBI is coming through hallway by hallway, department by department, to clear people who are not near this situation that continues to be locked down. Do they believe that?

Mojo in the Morning. I want to get back to War of the Roses in a second. Also, Neo in with us in a second. But I do want to bring this up, that we just had a press conference in Troy with the Troy police. for those that are just tuning in right now there was a shooting incident and an active shooter reported at the hospital there the Corwell Health Troy Beaumont Hospital in the Detroit area and the police answered questions just moments ago and I'll play that for you of the active shooter and who exactly this was and them now getting some information as far as how they know who this is so I'm going to play just a little bit of that audio for you.

Surrounding areas, although it is not believed that the suspect is still inside the hospital. The search is included with canines, drones, and helicopters throughout the area. The victim is a 25-year-old male from Troy who is alive and in stable condition. The suspect is not yet in custody, but not believed to be at the hospital. We will not be releasing any victim or suspect information at this time due to the ongoing investigation. And hopefully later this morning we'll be able to provide a further update with some additional information. I'll take a couple of questions if anyone has one.

All right, so they say it's an employee that worked at the hospital shooting another employee. They believe it was a targeted shooting and they know exactly who it is, but they're not releasing who the person is. Interesting because they probably know where they're going to be finding this person or looking for this person.

I wonder if that's why, because, yeah, that was my question of why wouldn't they say who it is and show what he or she looks like so that the public can help locate him or her.

by it we um we gotta uh believe that they know their reasoning of doing it and trust them but i will tell you this that uh it makes me feel better to know that uh um that the incident took place outside of the hospital. It wasn't in the hospital and it wasn't, uh, innocent. Uh, obviously there was a person that was shot, but it wasn't like all of a sudden a mass shooting situation. Um, be obviously on the alert that the police are actively going after this particular person. So, um, we'll keep you with more updates coming up.

Mike, I love your program, but this is the one thing that does kind of scare me sometimes. This old man sounds so nice, sounds so sweet. He answered everything correctly. Could something be happening? Sure. But still, the first thing, because he's on the program out of anybody's mouth and first thought is, did he know it was us? Is he lying? Is he covering his butt? It's like you automatically get labeled if you're going through it. And it's like, he sounds like such a sweet dude. And that's just the first thought I had. It was the first thing you said. And it's like, that's so unfair.

But you know, what I think got me was, and this gets me a lot, was when, hey, have you ever heard of us? And he's like, oh, my son talks about you guys all the time. But it didn't seem very not innocent. Like, he seemed, I don't know. But, you know, you know what I'm talking about, Adam? Like, we've had this before. Hey, do you know who we are? And they go, oh, I love you. Yeah.

Yeah. But like you said, if he did listen all the time, he would know that we would say that and he would be like, no. You know what I mean? Because we would accuse him of knowing that we were doing this.

Yeah. I mean, the way he talked, his demeanor, Stephen, you know, seemed like he was very relieved. I think we're okay on this one, but I will say this to you, that we have busted parents before that cheated. And it's heartbreaking because the kids were even, because we would never do it if you're not over the age of 18. We're not going to have a minor do it. It would be legally a mess if we did that. But I'm going to tell you, it doesn't make a difference how old you are when you know that your parent's doing that. It's just heartbreaking. What's up, Jordan?

Hey, can we ask the dad what the discrepancy is with the time gap from when the son comes home and he comes home?

You know, I didn't ask that at all.

He sounds like a guy who would say, I'm just putzing. Like around work, I don't know. Yeah, I feel kind of bad for the son because he's like, yeah, he's still going to think that. It's like, so what is the time you have? I never really do anything.

Hi. Okay, so I didn't get, I literally just got in my car heading to work. I didn't get to hear the whole segment, but I heard the part about the parents cheating, and I had to call in.

Oh, okay. All right.

So it wasn't me. It was actually my sister, which I'm 23 now, and she's 27, and this was back when we were in middle school. But she, like, we really liked watching shows with, like, mystery, whatever, and she watched so many shows about, like, where the plot line would have someone, like, having an affair or cheating, that, like, she started to kind of pick up on the tendencies, I guess. She's very empathetic. Anyways, at, like, I think she was, like, age 12, she had a feeling that, like, my dad was cheating. And so one night she went on his phone and, like, looked at his messages and literally found all of the messages of him having an affair for, like, years. Wow. And she went and confronted him about it at, like, 11, and he denied the whole thing. He was like, like, how dare you ask me that? Don't ever, like, ask me about this again. Like, this is so wrong. and then she went to my mom about it and then obviously he was having an affair for like most of my parents marriage honestly um and then

And, yeah, they ended up getting divorced.

Wow. God, that's amazing, though, all off of just being an 11-year-old watching TV. What were some of the things that he was doing that were tipping her off?

He was staying out, like, really, really late. And, like, we were all kind of noticing it, but, like, he just kept telling, like, my mom and everyone, like, you know, had to work really late, whatever. And then he's a hunter, so he was going on, like, a lot of hunting trips, like, way more, maybe not even during hunting season.

And coming back with nothing?

Yeah. Right, exactly. Like, yeah, no game, nothing was out there. No veal. And he was also just really mad with us a lot. Like, he, like, didn't want to be at home. Like, he wanted to be elsewhere. He just seemed really angry.

That's sad.

So the signs were there.

You always hate to hear that. And then they, you know, it starts changing his mood and stuff like that. That gets to be very sad. Olivia caught, wait, you caught your dad cheating, Olivia? How old were you at the time that you caught your dad?

I was 15 years old when I caught my dad cheating.

Wow, and how did you?

He picked me up from school for lunch and was going to take me out to lunch that day. And he actually picked me up in his girlfriend's brand new BMW.

Holy cow.

and how do you explain whose car it was um he I asked him whose car it was and he said you wouldn't believe me if I told you and I said who's is it and he said that it was his girlfriend's car and he ended up bringing me to his girlfriend's house not the same day a different day but ended up bringing me to the girlfriend's house and I remember like writing down her address and like, getting all the information I could to send to my stepmom because I was, like, best friends with my stepmom at the time. Why would he do that?

So he wanted to get caught. Yeah, he was fan of it.

Yeah, he, yeah, I don't know what his deal was at the time. I mean, it was, like, a crazy situation. But, yeah, they ended up getting divorced.

That's unreal.

Is he now with the girl who had the BMW?

No, he's with a different girl every week.

Man, dad is a player. Oh, my God, this is a wild one. Sam, how did you find out that your dad was cheating?

So my girlfriend and I were driving to pick up my sister at my aunt's house, and a light came on on the dashboard. So I look in the glove box to find the user manual, and there was a pair of women's underwear in the glove box. It was, yeah, yep. and they were not moms definitely not mom um they were very my mom is bigger um and these were definitely a size two size three ladies so she wanted him to get caught the other lady did i don't know when i asked my dad about it he said that um he bought them for my mom and i was like well then clearly you don't know mom's size like

for her arm wow that's crazy uh oh we caught a mom cheating Christina caught a mom her not a mom

her mom cheating what's going on uh I was 18 years old and I noticed my mom wasn't like hanging out with us and stuff and I went through her phone and I saw some nasty text messages and I didn't believe it and my mom left the next day and I told my dad hey I think she's cheating on with some other younger guy, and she actually called my dad maybe three days later and said, I never want to see you or your kids again, and it's been 17 years.

Holy cow. I'm sorry. That's awful.

That's a terrible story. We went through a lot, but you know what? I'm 36 now, and it's nothing but amazing. I'm a mom now, and I will never do that.

And that was your biological mom?

My biological mother.

It's a lot of therapy. A lot of, you know, I got over it, but it's all good. It's been 18 years, and that's okay. I forgive her, but I could never see her again.

And I was old enough to know that like, that's not my mom's phone number. And then my mom was like constantly on the phone too. And so I like told each other, I was like, do you guys know why you guys are always on the phone with other people? and it turned out that they were actually both cheating on each other and I spilled the beans.

Man, do you think they were both relieved that each other was doing it so they could get out of the relationship?

Well, they actually ended up sticking it out for like eight more years and then got divorced after I turned 18.

First off, let me say this. You are definitely, like, you need to school some of these newer artists that are out there now. That the fact that you could do a show like you did last night and then come into the radio studio, you know how many times these guys will, we're tired, we can't do this thing? Yeah, it's a different generation. You love radio still, don't you?

I do. I do. Listen, I got nothing against, you know, the streaming apps and all of that, but I grew up with radio. This is where I made it happen. You know what I'm saying? There was something special about hearing your song on the radio for the first time. That was a thing. That was something that you aspired to, you know, coming up. Well, at least something I aspired to anyway.

I think that there was a time on 955 in Detroit, Channel 955, that we had six Neo songs rolling at the same time. Sheesh. And there used to be, back in the radio days of, like, rules, they would say, oh, you know, separation, artist separation, or whatever the deal was. And I remember the program director at the time was Dom Theodore, and he said, I don't care if we play the whole album at once. Every song's a hit. And we played, like, sometimes we'd play three to four songs in a row of Neo. I thought I was listening to a special, you know, going on.

That's probably not even including all the songs he wrote. Right? That's true. You know what I'm saying? We've been making moves, man, for a little while now. Yeah, we just celebrated 19 years of my first album. Come on, Mark. That's amazing.

I love that for you. That also makes me feel really freaking old.

It varies. It depends. You know, I have an Alaskan king bed, which can comfortably fit like 10 people.

I've never heard of an Alaskan king. Really? No, I've heard of a California king, but I've never heard of an Alaskan king.

An Alaskan king is like two California kings next to each other. Oh, my God. I've heard of a dream.

If you're in the middle of the Alaskan king and you've got to go pee in the middle of the night, how are you getting out of that bed?

Oh, no, no. So as opposed to going to either side, you just go straight off the bed.

I like, I one time had one of those, the ones where you sink into it, the foam mattresses. A waterbed? Oh. No, no, I never had a waterbed. Waterbed would have been kind of cool too, but I had one of those mattresses and I couldn't get out of the bed one time. I was like, this mattress stinks, but.

Wait, wait, here's my question on your beautiful relationship. Yes, sir. Now, from a financial and business perspective, I'm going to try to draw a line between one point and another. from a financial business perspective i've always heard from millionaires i'll get there at some point in time that it is harder to make your first million than it is to go from your first million to 10 million very true so do you to equate that from this relationship perspective is it harder to have one and then to get a second or was it harder to go from two to four

that was a really good question i like the way you worded that that was good um you know what the beauty of this thing is that it actually came together pretty easily once once once all deception was out the window you know what i mean again that's the only way this works is if everybody is being 100 brutally painfully honest about everything okay you know so there's one that that has been around a little longer than the others you know and i basically sat her down and told her what what i wanted it to be uh and i gave her the option i think that's another thing that's very important you have to leave the woman with the option and then should she decide that she's not with it you have to be okay with her not being with it yeah again being honest with not only them but being honest with yourself you know and and yeah yeah uh so started with one uh introduced her to the others and and you know again by the grace of god things things came together lovely

so everybody everybody is cool with everybody else in terms of like once you had two then do you like take a group vote of okay here's someone else that I you know I am interested in

I want to bring her in so the table we sit at is shaped like uh kind of like a kind of like a teardrop right there's me at the head of the table and the other side of the table is round meaning no one at the other side of the table outweighs or or is above anybody okay right their their side of table is round I'm at the head of the table so the final decision is always mine However, I have respect for these women I have respect for their opinions I have respect for their feelings So if I want to bring somebody else And I'm definitely going to have a conversation with them about it Like, hey, this is what I want to do Are you cool with this? that's literally my dream is it really yes i don't need all of the responsibilities on my shoulders okay so you know what i mean like it really truly is a group effort to deal with a man

i saw your social media post about this recently and i saw the four women i would i would constantly be comparing in that situation they're all

They're all beautiful. And I think that I would be, honestly, I would be so super self-conscious about it.

We can talk about all of that. You know, they are new to getting this much attention from the public. Yeah. And there are people out there, you know, people that troll and people that are just mean for the sake of being mean. And what I say to them is, okay, your boyfriend is a multimillionaire, multiplatinum recording artist. Why does it matter what some dude sitting on his couch drinking his mama's orange juice thinks about what you look like? I love your attitude. I tell these guys this. These people don't know you. You don't know these people. We are, every person is their own gatekeeper to their happiness, to their peace of mind. There's a gate around your heart. There's a gate around your brain, okay? What you let in is what comes in. If you don't let it in, it can't come in. Literally, nobody can make you feel like something. You have to let that person make you feel that way. You have to allow yourself to feel that. Will you please look at these guys?

Look at her, too. Look at her and tell her that.

It's simply about not letting things that aren't important simply not be important. And opinions are not important because everybody has one.

But it's so easy to hear and say when you're not in the moment. And I have to imagine when that first. I know, but that first introductory period, especially for I think a lot of times it's easy for us to say we signed up for this. We signed up for public criticism and to put our opinion out there that's fair, but especially for them to be put out there on a platform just for the public to put their input right away. And I think a lot of people don't know a lot about polyamorous relationships or aren't open minded or don't realize or respect other people in their life decisions. And to get hit with that all at once is hard to deal with.

It can be if you allow it to be. Again, it's about what you allow. Again, it's about what you make important. And I will repeat, opinions are not special. Every single person walking the face of this planet has an opinion. So why would you let somebody's negative opinion mean more to you than your positive opinion? Man, I love it. This is a therapy session. Life is 10% what happens to you, 90% how you react. Life is happening for you, not to you. Nobody is a victim of life. That's the motto that I live by. Life is not happening to me. Life is happening for me. I manifested my entire situation, and I have been doing it my entire life.

Have you ever, I want to talk music with you too. Yes, sir. Have you had a song that you wrote that was a song that was a mega hit, big hit? You wrote it and somebody turned it down and you did it yourself or somebody else took it?

This particular song, I didn't want to do it myself. I wrote the song with the intention of doing it myself, but then realized that the song would ultimately make more sense if a woman sang it. Okay. So we actually shopped it to a few female artist names that you would know. And yeah, it got turned down a few times before it landed with the person that it landed. Who? Yeah, what song? Irreplaceable. Wow. Okay, wait a second. Now I want to know. Who else? There were people that did not get it. Why? Because it had kind of like a country song feel with the guitar, but then the drums kind of took it to another place. And there were people that didn't understand. They didn't get it. And I'm like, all right, that's cool. No problem.

Doesn't it make you feel good to know when that blows up to be like, you could have?

It's more like, and I told you so. Listen, you don't understand. If you trust me on this one, it's going to be worth your while.

You have to admit, though, that's kind of like Michael Jordan getting cut from his basketball team when he was a freshman. All of a sudden, it's like who gets chosen to do that song is the one that makes that song mega. But then again, you also have to consider this.

Like, Beyonce is a phenom. Yeah. Who's to say that if one of those other artists got it, it would have been as big a hit. That's what I wonder, too. It turned out to be a completely different song with a completely different feel, completely different energy. So, you know, I feel like everything happens the way that it's supposed to, exactly when it's supposed to. That song, even though it wasn't written for Beyonce originally, it was meant to be Beyonce.

So when you're writing, this is another one, too, because, you know, we keep notes all the time. I have a legal pad here. i write down stuff all the time you know ideas and things that just pop in my head when you're writing music are you writing it with pen and pad or are you putting it in your phone are you singing it to something like i think about that like miss independent the words to that song are so great and then i wonder how did you write the damn thing there was definitely a point in time

where i was a slave to a pen and a pad like if i didn't have a pen and pad in front of me i couldn't do it and that primarily came from uh just the way that my writing came to be like i came up journaling and whatnot like I was I was like a really really angry little kid you know I grew up in a house full of women my mother my sister my grandmother five aunts and me until I was like 16 so you know I'm going through puberty I'm becoming a young man I don't got anybody to bounce these emotions off of so I started doing stupid stuff you know just breaking stuff getting in trouble and whatnot and that was when my mom gave me my first red spiral note and she said write it down yeah so write down what and she said i don't give a damn just write it down and that's that's how my writing started it was journal entries and then from journal entries i discovered girls and how much i liked them but i was not brave enough to talk to them so i write poems that they would never receive and then uh mind you the whole time that all of this is going on music is like the third sibling in the house it's me my sister and music my mom used to watch tv listening to music like it was just the stereo was always on so i took the melodies that was constantly flown through the house at all times put it with these poems that i was writing lo and behold now you have a song and from there just it was just songs from now now now mind you 45 years old at this point i've been doing this for quite some time you know i'm not one of these dudes that's stuck in the stone age yes i definitely write stuff in my notes from time to time i use the voice note every now and then if it's a melody that i got and i don't want to forget but for whatever reason there's something about that pen and pad that just It just feels right. You know what I mean? Oh, yeah. What that is.

Moleskins and notebooks. Is it still a red book? Is it still a red one?

I have a red book. I have a few different ones. And I love the spiral notebook. I'm left-handed, so you get the spiral. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The imprint. You know, you can't write in pencil because it smears across. Can we delete the term moleskin? Can we just, like, as a society, say that?

It is gross.

We had an active shooting situation that took place, which, by the way, has just officially been confirmed to us that the suspect in that shooting is in custody. So police believe that it was a targeted incident. Let me play for you real quick the audio from the police press conference this morning. so they had a press conference uh what about an hour or so ago where they were they were looking for the the suspect and they didn't give any more information out but they were kind of like

being a little bit vague with clearing the hospital and the surrounding areas although it is not believed that the suspect is still inside the hospital this was uh from an hour is included with canines drones and helicopters throughout the area for those that don't know what's going on there was a shooting in the 25 year old male from troy who is alive and in stable condition the suspect is not yet in custody but not believed to be at the hospital so the uh

shooting took place at the hospital they believe that the shooting was only outside or we believe the shooting was only outside and uh in the parking garage in the parking garage believe that it was a targeted shooting and that the person knew they either worked together or they both were people that knew each other. And the police believe that this particular incident quite possibly could have turned into a bigger situation if it had happened later in the day, just because there would be more people that would be on the scene. I do think that this morning it seemed like it was an even bigger one just because nobody had any information yeah like i felt like the information was so kind of scattered yeah so i think that there was fear that there was you know just somebody randomly walking around a hospital i also i also appreciate

in the situation though that there weren't all of these different rumors about what was going on and who it was and how many victims there were because sometimes that happens too and then it's just the

rapid spread of misinformation which doesn't help anybody yeah uh this is a big story have you guys all gone to secretary of state or in ohio the dmv thank you and have you guys gotten your real

ids yet okay yeah i have not done this yet and you have to do it fast what are you talking about

what's a real id so a real id is and i'll show you i got one a year ago or so real id is this It's got a little star on it. What it is is they get more information from you than just getting your normal driver's license. If you don't have this, there is going to be some issues trying to travel because you will not be able to fly domestically without it.

With a deadline just weeks away, DMVs around the country are packed as people line up for hours to get their real ID.

From the time that you got here to now, you walked out, how long did it take you? Four and a half hours.

What's a real ID? It's a new form of identification conceived by Congress after 9-11 and long since delayed that requires more of your personal information to be verified. Beginning on May 7th, if you're 18 or older, you'll need either a passport or a real ID compliant document to fly domestically within the U.S.

When I go back after finals week, it'd be like past the deadline to fly, so I have to get it now.

In Illinois, a frenzy of applications. This past Saturday, we processed more than 10,000 real ID transactions alone. The demand prompting the state to open a real ID super center. In Florida, another complication has DMVs jammed.

Listen to this story. This is pretty wild. People are making appointments at the DMV, Secretary of State, for these appointments and scalping them.

You can't make an appointment. All the appointments are booked up like three months out.

Officials in Miami-Dade County say people are booking multiple appointments at the DMV only to turn around and sell the appointment times for up to $250 each.

Oh, that's crazy. Genius, but crazy.

Local officials now trying to make appointment scalping illegal. If you are able to get an appointment for your real ID, be sure to bring the right documents. Requirements vary by state.

And it got all the way to the front and one document they would not accept.

Yeah, one of the things is that you've got to show proof of residency. You've got to show proof that you own a home or live in the apartment or wherever you're renting. So you've got to make sure you get all the proper paperwork done to get this real ID. Now, you can travel with a passport if you have a passport, but you will not be allowed on an airplane without this. They won't let you get past the security or ticketed without it. oh this is a story that I saw and I thought was interesting and this one's for Kevin because how do you think Kevin would look bald do we think that Kevin bald

I've always wondered this.

Wearing a hat won't make you go bald itself, but if you're wearing one that is too tight or wearing it all the time without giving your scalp some air, it could lead to some friction or irritation, and that irritation could cause your follicles to grow less, which means you're not necessarily going bald, but you're actually getting less hair on top of your head.

Do you want to know what's interesting to me is that is actually the opposite of, and this is so stupid and totally different part of your body, but I asked the girl who does my eyebrows how to get my eyebrows thicker, you know, because that's like the thing right now. And she said to actually stimulate the follicles around where my current eyebrows are by like rubbing them with a toothbrush or something, which would essentially be the same thing to me as a hat rubbing on your head which would then tell me that that would grow your hair because it would be stimulating the hair follicles that aren't really, that are like dormant. Right.

Do you guys, question for you, do you ever notice that all baseball players are bald on top? They have like a bald spot on top of their head? I've never noticed.

But they say that the problem is that people have been going to businesses and stores, and they've been taking them. You know what that music is, don't you?
