birthday to you happy birthday to you happy birthday dear Happy birthday to you

00:04:22 - 00:04:26 | Speaker 7:

Wishing you a happy How old are you? I think some people Are a little confused

00:04:26 - 00:04:30 | Speaker 3:

I forget how old I am I'm turning 24 Well I'm

00:04:30 - 00:04:31 | Speaker 7:

You turned 24

00:04:31 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 3:

I turned 24 yesterday So yesterday was your Yesterday was actually

00:04:35 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 7:

Your official birthday Right? Okay And you turned You turned 24 And you said that You had a little mix up Of people thinking That you were At that quarter century

00:04:47 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 2:

age. Yeah. And I think it started with Spike posting for my birthday a couple of days early too. A lot of people didn't know what my exact birthday day was. And then I on dinner on Friday, I had a good friend take me out.

00:05:00 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 1:

And I experienced something kind of awkward for me. I was trying to keep it just me and not have her realize that she forgot my actual age. We went out to dinner. It was so nice. She got me gifts. She wrote me a letter and a card, and it was so touching and beautiful. And then she wrote, happy 25th birthday, KP. And I'm just like, oh, no. I don't want to tell her, but I don't want her to go the rest of our friendship, not knowing my actual age and it seems super small but it's like super awkward you know like when you're having such a good time and then it's like this little detail yeah it's like the main point of why you're there yeah and I just felt so awkward I didn't I didn't tell her I just read the card and I was just like wow this is beautiful thank you so much and then a couple days go by and my actual birthday happens on Sunday and she posted this big social post happy 25th birthday KB and then I had other people start saying happy 25th birthday KB and I'm like oh my god I have to end this now. She has to take down this post. So these people

00:06:05 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 2:

did you DM her or what did you do? I did.

00:06:07 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 1:

I said I love you so much but I'm turning 24.

00:06:13 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 2:

Did she say anything about the fact that on Friday you didn't say anything? No.

00:06:17 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 1:

She just goes I'm so sorry I just we are all the same age it feels like. You can't tell how old people are.

00:06:24 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 2:

For us and the listeners, I mean, we've only known you for, you know, what, less than six months, right? Seven months now. Seven months now? Has it been that long? KP's been new to the show, so KP's our producer. And so we could screw it up, which honestly, I kind of wondered. I thought to myself, I'm like, she's doing a lot for a 24th birthday. Maybe she's not 24 because you had, like, a whole weekend of festivities, including that big concert that you went to where you bought, was it how many tickets did you buy for that concert?

00:06:56 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 1:

Twelve.

00:06:57 - 00:07:07 | Speaker 2:

She bought 12 tickets to take a ton of friends with to the concert. And I'm thinking to myself, she's going to get broke by the time she's 25.

00:07:07 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 3:

I am broke.

00:07:08 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 2:

I mean, that's a big celebration because usually people don't celebrate to that extent. like birthdays that aren't considered to be not monumental like 21 25 30 30 or 40 you know stuff

00:07:21 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 1:

like that well this is just making up for my 21st birthday i had a big thing planned for turning 21 and covid canceled oh that's right okay all right that's good i haven't had my friends meet up in so long yeah so you get that we're gonna go up plus when you really think about it if you go out for a birthday people are spending money on uber they're spending money on drinks And a gift And instead of all that I just wanted people to be there So I wanted all of us to be in a group together And spend that money on it

00:07:49 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 2:

Also to me it's weird Like this is the other thing I think it's weird Like you did the right thing I think it's weird to say Hey it's my birthday on Saturday We're all getting together I want you guys to go with me to a concert You're going to have to pay for the concert Like it's weird throwing your own birthday Typically it's somebody else throwing your own birthday

00:08:10 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 3:

It's weird throwing your own birthday Well, right.

00:08:14 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 2:

By the way, Mike, just so you know.

00:08:16 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 3:

Happy birthday, Mike. Happy late birthday.

00:08:18 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 2:

No festivities for KP because she had a Sunday birthday. So there's no festivities. There's no balloons. There's no craziness here. People can wish her a happy birthday from yesterday's post. I actually posted that yesterday because I would go, KP cannot post. She normally does all our social posts. She can't post her own birthday post. And by about 9 o'clock or 10 o'clock in the morning I'm thinking, we've got to put a post up there for her So I tried to choose Whatever picture that I could find That was off yours And write a little something

00:08:48 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 1:

My friend took that at the concert Because I was having such a good time My friend got a video of me Just dancing at the concert And then I was sitting in this little chair Must have been early, because you didn't look sloppy yet No, I was not sloppy Well, I'm a type, you know how I am when I get drunk i was happy let's just say that what what did you get for your birthday from uh like your mom what did mama kp get you gosh mama kp knows my love language to a t so she showed up and she said she was coming over and i'm like where is she and i looked and i snuck at her location she was at kroger and i'm like oh i know what she's doing she went up picked up a ton of groceries meal prepped some of them and came over and dropped off a bunch of meals for me oh man the best gift what a awesome that is my language i don't you know i'm not super fancy i really am not i love that she thought of me and how i have almost no time to meal prep during the week

00:09:45 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

she brought me food like that that is so sweet and you talked last week on the show about how you didn't have any food and you were hoping she'd buy you mcdonald's last week remember that so yeah so she probably realizes this girl's not eating if i don't do that that's a great that is a great gift because you can buy clothes or

00:10:00 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 5:

You can buy, you know, whatever you buy. That's thoughtful, though. But that is a very thoughtful gift. Plus, she's probably worried about your nutrition. Yes. Wants to make sure you're eating.

00:10:06 - 00:10:08 | Speaker 4:

My state of being. She came in and she's like, oh.

00:10:09 - 00:10:13 | Speaker 5:

So what was the meal prep for today? Did she give you, like, specific days and everything?

00:10:13 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. So today I brought in a salad with some chicken to work. And then tonight I'm going to have some shrimp tacos. Wow. And then tomorrow a little chicken, like more chicken.

00:10:23 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 5:

See, this is the way you do it. If you're Megan, you just go to your dad's house and steal it right out of his refrigerator. I do that, too.

00:10:29 - 00:10:31 | Speaker 4:

Oh, do you really? Not Megan's dad, but I...

00:10:31 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 5:

That would actually be kind of funny, wouldn't it?

00:10:36 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 4:

Stay out of my pantry.

00:10:38 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 5:

You and Megan went to lunch yesterday, I heard.

00:10:41 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 4:

We did. That literally made my birthday even better. Wow. She drove an hour and a half just for my birthday. Wow. That was really nice. Yeah, super special. Everybody thinks I'm the mean one.

00:10:52 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 3:

Well, you're mean and you'll drive far.

00:10:57 - 00:11:00 | Speaker 5:

Maybe that's why she's mean. It's an hour and a half drive.

00:11:00 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 4:

Well, Megan was so sweet. So not only did she drive an hour and a half to go see me, I saw her walking in. She was all dressed up so cute and fancy, and I was wearing a hat and no makeup on from drunk or hungover from the night before. She looks gorgeous. She's got a little gift, and she's trying to get me drunk because this huge bottle of champagne is now on my counter. I don't even know what to do with it. Oh, I love it. And then I scheduled us. Well, I didn't even schedule. I was like, let's go here. It's my favorite breakfast place. Get there. It's an hour wait So we ended up going From the breakfast place To this To Cruz and Muir And she ended up Having to pay for this This pot This pasta and stuff I'm begging I'm sorry I tried to pick a budget Friendly place For the both of us

00:11:40 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 5:

So it actually

00:11:41 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 4:

It was a birthday celebration Yeah Really really The same place I celebrated Honestly I'd rather go

00:11:46 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 5:

To Cruz and Muir's Cruz and Muir's is great It was so good It was so good It was so good That's good stuff By the way did you drive To Grand Rapids For Mike's birthday Because now he's going To complain about that I'm just going to be An old grumpy guy I'm going to go for Allie's birthday. So it was a great birthday, a great weekend. And I know that later this morning we're going to talk about the craziness that you had with some of your girlfriends, including Lydia, the director of the show here, who went with you. And I heard she was over served also. And it was pretty crazy.

00:12:18 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 1:

I heard she was not just over served. She was real over served. I'm surprised you're alive.

00:12:24 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 5:

So what are your plans now for your 25th birthday? because you're going to have to top that. The hardest part about birthdays is if you have like a big birthday celebration, the next birthday always seems a little depressing because you don't have as big a celebration.

00:12:40 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I don't know.

00:12:40 - 00:12:42 | Speaker 5:

Or you don't get as much planned.

00:12:42 - 00:12:43 | Speaker 4:

I'm not that far ahead.

00:12:43 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 5:

I know. Well, you got time. You got time to figure that out. Sunday birthdays are interesting too, aren't they? That's so not fun. Yeah, Sunday.

00:12:51 - 00:12:56 | Speaker 3:

Sunday, Monday. Sunday, Monday. Sunday was beautiful. That gives you permission to celebrate all week. They're like summer birthdays, you know?

00:12:56 - 00:13:03 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. They're like when you're, you know, like Spike, you and Megan, you guys have summer birthdays. You never get to celebrate in the class.

00:13:03 - 00:13:05 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you didn't get to bring cupcakes into class.

00:13:05 - 00:13:11 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but you also didn't have to invite the kids you didn't want to invite your birthday party. True. That's true. Always the bright side.

00:13:11 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 5:

That's good. The bright side of that. Yeah, you don't have to hang out with all the jerks that you didn't like when you were in school. Well, we got a good show for you today. It's going to be an interesting one because we've got these trips to Disney, and we also have all the other stuff that we give away, including Taylor Swift tickets. We'll have those for you coming up in just a little bit.

00:13:31 - 00:13:40 | Speaker 2:

How smart are you? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events, and you tell us what year it happened.

00:13:40 - 00:14:02 | Speaker 5:

Ah, listen to this. KP, in honor of you. Actually, it's really not in honor of you, but it's kind of like in honor of you because you're a big country music fan. Dirk's Bentley tickets all this week. Okay. A pair of tickets. Is Dierks Bentley, because I'm not a big country fan. I only know the crossover country artists like the Morgan Wallens and the Florida Georgia Lions and stuff like that. Is Dierks Bentley considered big?

00:14:02 - 00:14:06 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. He's very good. Yeah. Okay. Not a classic, but one of the older ones.

00:14:07 - 00:14:13 | Speaker 5:

Okay. All right. So a chance to win tickets for that. This was the year that Fifty Shades of Grey was released into theaters.

00:14:19 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 4:

There's really not much to know about me. Look at me.

00:14:25 - 00:14:26 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:14:26 - 00:14:38 | Speaker 5:

Wow. Topped the box office with over $400 million in box office sales. I forgot about this one. It was the year that Drake and Serena Williams went public with their rumored relationship.

00:14:39 - 00:14:51 | Speaker 1:

The rumors have reignited after Drake and Serena were reportedly spotted making out at a Cincinnati restaurant. Serena was there to take home her fifth WTA title with Drake spotted in the crowd.

00:14:51 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 5:

00:15:36 - 00:15:38 | Speaker 7:

Do you have any interests outside of work?

00:15:38 - 00:15:42 | Speaker 1:

What about you? I'd like to know more about you.

00:15:42 - 00:15:45 | Speaker 7:

There's really not much to know about me. Look at me.

00:15:48 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 1:

The rumored power couple in this year was Drake and Serena Williams.

00:15:53 - 00:16:00 | Speaker 2:

The rumors have reignited after Drake and Serena were reportedly spotted making out at a Cincinnati restaurant.

00:16:00 - 00:16:22 | Speaker 1:

And the big song was Pitbull, Knee Out, Time of Our Lives. What year was that? Let's go to Sarah. Hi, Sarah. Hi. Hey, what year was that? Was it 2015? It was. Congratulations. We're going to set you up with a prize. What gave it away? Fifty Shades did. Fifty Shades. Well, how old were you when Fifty Shades came out?

00:16:22 - 00:16:23 | Speaker 2:

I was old enough.

00:16:23 - 00:16:32 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you were? That's it. I like that. We're going to set you up with tickets to go see Dierks Bentley at Pine Knob Amphitheater this summer. Congratulations to you.

00:16:33 - 00:16:34 | Speaker 3:

Thank you so, so much.

00:16:34 - 00:16:37 | Speaker 1:

You are so, so welcome. Hang on the phone for one second. Have a great week.

00:16:38 - 00:16:42 | Speaker 3:

You too. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:16:42 - 00:16:46 | Speaker 1:

We'll get you caught up on what's trending and what trended over the weekend. What's going on, Shannon?

00:16:46 - 00:17:09 | Speaker 5:

Well, Gwyneth Paltrow's ski crash trial continued Friday, and she actually took the stand. And we knew she would testify about the incident that took place in Park City, Utah, several years ago. Gwen said she initially thought the retired optometrist, Terry Sanderson, at the center of this, slammed directly into the back of her as part of like a practical joke or maybe even a sexual assault.

00:17:09 - 00:17:16 | Speaker 6:

So you're going down relatively slowly and two skis slid in between my skis.

00:17:17 - 00:17:18 | Speaker 7:

That's correct.

00:17:18 - 00:17:24 | Speaker 6:

And all of a sudden, the whole front of a body pressing into my back. That's right.

00:17:24 - 00:17:29 | Speaker 7:

And I didn't know exactly what was happening. It's a very strange thing to happen on a ski slope.

00:17:29 - 00:17:40 | Speaker 6:

I didn't know if it was an intentional assault of a sexual nature. Right. Was he grinding and thrusting or something or just the noises? What made you think it was a sexual assault?

00:17:41 - 00:17:43 | Speaker 7:

So that was a quick thought that went through my head

00:17:43 - 00:17:58 | Speaker 5:

when I was trying to reconcile what was happening. So she quickly realized it wasn't a sexual assault. They tumbled to the ground, and she said she got really angry afterward and let loose a string of cuss words at this guy, which she apologized for on the stand.

00:17:58 - 00:18:03 | Speaker 7:

You skied directly into my effing back, and he said, oh, sorry, sorry, I'm sorry.

00:18:04 - 00:18:27 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, however, again, this man's attorney says, actually, it was Gwen who skied into their client. The guy ended up breaking four ribs, sued her at the start for $3 million plus, Plus, which he has since amended to that $300,000, she's countersuing for just $1 and some legal fees. And this guy's attorney was trying real hard to connect Taylor Swift into this mess.

00:18:27 - 00:18:30 | Speaker 6:

But remember me asking you, is it symbolic? And you said, yes, it is.

00:18:31 - 00:18:31 | Speaker 5:

Yes.

00:18:32 - 00:18:39 | Speaker 6:

Okay. And I asked you as well, well, you learned about that through Taylor Swift because she asked for $1 in symbolic damages, right?

00:18:40 - 00:18:44 | Speaker 7:

And I think I said at that point I had not been familiar with it, but I since am.

00:18:44 - 00:18:53 | Speaker 6:

Now you are. But at the time, a couple years ago in 2020, you didn't know anything about Taylor Swift's $1 symbolic damage lawsuit?

00:18:54 - 00:18:56 | Speaker 5:

This lady was just reaching.

00:18:56 - 00:18:58 | Speaker 1:

She went on for five minutes about Taylor Swift.

00:18:59 - 00:19:14 | Speaker 4:

So is her lawyer. Her lawyer is terrible and is trying to bribe the judge and the bailiffs by asking to bring treats in for them. It's weird. This whole trial is weird. And also, why is Gwyneth Paltrow talking like that? I don't know. I was going to say, I don't know.

00:19:14 - 00:19:16 | Speaker 5:

I don't know her talking any different. I just don't know.

00:19:17 - 00:19:17 | Unknown:

I don't know.

00:19:18 - 00:19:25 | Speaker 5:

If you watch anything that she does for Goop, she kind of talks like that sometimes, too. Well, when you only eat bone broth.

00:19:26 - 00:19:29 | Speaker 6:

Are you good friends with Taylor Swift?

00:19:29 - 00:19:40 | Speaker 7:

I would not say we're good friends. We are friendly. I take my kids, I've taken my kids to one of her concerts before, but we don't talk very often.

00:19:40 - 00:19:45 | Speaker 6:

You've never given Ms. Swift personal, intimate gifts for Christmas.

00:19:46 - 00:19:49 | Speaker 5:

A vibrator. Your Honor. Relevance. What?

00:19:50 - 00:19:56 | Speaker 6:

Well, she's just said that she wasn't friends with her, so I'm impiring on that.

00:19:57 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 5:

The trial's set to resume today, by the way.

00:20:00 - 00:20:13 | Speaker 3:

Harry Styles, it might be the most awkward thing I've ever seen. Harry Styles spotted smooching Emily Ratajkowski in Tokyo. No, no. It's just the new way to kiss again. The side kiss.

00:20:13 - 00:20:16 | Speaker 5:

He can kiss Meghan as awkwardly as he wants.

00:20:16 - 00:20:33 | Speaker 3:

So he's currently in Japan performing as part of his Love on Tour concert series. And you can see the picture. Trying to eat her face. I'm literally posting them right now. Well, they start out doing it like side to side. It's so uncomfortable. Here's the thing.

00:20:33 - 00:20:34 | Speaker 5:

Are they trying to face the cameras?

00:20:34 - 00:20:46 | Speaker 3:

He has loved her forever. He admitted back in, God, I think we pulled this from 2014 that he had a crush on her. You got a celebrity crush? Do you? Celebrity crush?

00:20:47 - 00:20:51 | Speaker 6:

Emily Ratajkowski from Gone Girl.

00:20:52 - 00:21:31 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, Emily Ratajkowski from Gone Girl. So everyone's like, he totally manifested this. And then, and this is where the internet's so good, somebody found a photo of Harry's ex, Olivia Wilde, cheering him on at one of his shows from last year, and there's Emily standing right next to her. Oops. It's good. Florida Atlantic, San Diego State, Miami will be making their very first appearances in the Final Four, the first time since 1970. That three first-timers all showed up in the same year. There will be no number one seed at the Final Four for the first time since 2011, joining them, by the way, and rounding out that final four, UConn. Mike Churpin

00:21:31 - 00:21:33 | Speaker 5:

sounds like you had good brackets this year. I don't care about

00:21:33 - 00:21:39 | Speaker 4:

any of these teams, but it busted every single bracket out there, which puts me in second and third place and a winner.

00:21:40 - 00:21:52 | Speaker 7:

It's actually interesting that ESPN said that they have 37 perfect brackets. Really? 37 people actually had Florida State, FDU, Florida Atlantic, whatever they are, FAU.

00:21:52 - 00:22:23 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. And lastly, a tornado tore through Mississippi and Alabama on Friday night, killing more than two dozen people. I mean, it was just horrific. The tornado destroyed buildings, knocked out power. There was hail the size of golf balls traveling one hundred and seventy miles per hour. Just think about that. And it prompted authorities to warn people in its path that they were in a life threatening situation, including this meteorologist, Matt Lobin, from WTVA.

00:22:23 - 00:22:49 | Speaker 4:

I would say the western few streets in Amory were now less than two minutes away. This is a strong, life-threatening tornado. We need to be in our tornado's safe place. Oh, man. Like, north side of Amory, this is coming in. Oh, man. Dear Jesus, please help them. Amen. Oh, wow.

00:22:50 - 00:23:07 | Speaker 3:

So he's going to track on Highway 25. That video trending this morning because he did that. He did pray live on the air. And I saw yesterday President Biden issued an emergency declaration for the state of Mississippi, making federal funding to those areas hit by the tornado available. I was just wondering how to get my tongue out of the Xbox.

00:24:22 - 00:24:24 | Speaker 6:

Have you tried calling Microsoft?

00:24:24 - 00:24:29 | Speaker 5:

They make the game? Yeah. What do other customers do when they get their tongue stuck?

00:24:29 - 00:24:31 | Speaker 6:

00:25:57 - 00:26:24 | Speaker 1:

We will, we will scam you. Yep, go ahead and laugh. You might be next. It's the home of the world-famous phone scams. Mojo in the Morning. It's Mojo in the Morning's 5 at 6.55. All right, Trav, I hope that you've been paying attention to pop culture this weekend.

00:26:24 - 00:26:32 | Speaker 2:

Have you? Yeah, I've been trying my best. All right. We have a challenger here for you this morning. Kate is her name. Hi, Kate.

00:26:33 - 00:26:34 | Speaker 4:

Hi, how are you?

00:26:34 - 00:27:01 | Speaker 2:

Good. Kate is on with us. Now, Kate and Trav, were you both listening to Shannon's last Dirty on the 30? Yeah. Yeah. Okay, I'm just making sure, because we gave you that as a tip, that if you listen to Shannon's 630 Dirty, usually you might get a question, maybe even two, for the 5 of 6.55, because we've been struggling. I don't know, were you listening last week, Kate, to hear Thursday and Fridays?

00:27:01 - 00:27:10 | Speaker 4:

I listen most days, yeah, and I told Lydia or KP, which everyone I spoke to, and I said I usually do okay, but honestly, I thought Friday was kind of hard, too.

00:27:10 - 00:27:12 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, some of the questions. See?

00:27:12 - 00:27:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:27:13 - 00:27:44 | Speaker 2:

See? I like that, Trav. All right, I'm locking you up in a soundproof area, Trav. We're going to start this contest right now. Kate's going to go first. Five pop culture trivia questions. Whoever gets the most right wins. Ty always goes to the champion. Question number one. Beyonce and this sportswear fashion brand have mutually agreed to part ways. Adidas. Question number two. Name two of the four teams who have made it to this year's NCAA March Madness Men's Final Four.

00:27:45 - 00:27:47 | Speaker 4:

UConn and San Diego State.

00:27:48 - 00:28:13 | Speaker 2:

Question number three. Harry Styles was spotted making out with model Emily Ratajkowski in Tokyo. Which Don't Worry Darling actress was Harry previously linked to? Olivia Wilde. Question number four. ABC has renewed Grey's Anatomy for a 20th season. What U.S. city does Grey's take place in?

00:28:14 - 00:28:15 | Speaker 4:

Seattle.

00:28:15 - 00:28:39 | Speaker 2:

And question number five. Wow, what a box office for this movie. John Wick 4 scored big at the box office over the weekend, becoming the number one movie and breaking a franchise record. Who stars as assassin John Wick? Keanu Reeves. Let's bring the champ back from a soundproof area. Maybe the questions were hard last week, or maybe they're easy today, but she's a good challenger.

00:28:39 - 00:28:42 | Speaker 1:

Kate got all five right. Oh, my God.

00:28:43 - 00:28:45 | Speaker 2:

Trav, you've done this before.

00:28:45 - 00:28:46 | Speaker 1:

I know you will.

00:28:46 - 00:29:06 | Speaker 2:

Trav, well, look at it. She's rooting him out. So sweet. So nice. Sweet lady there from Mount Clemens. I did not know people in Mount Clemens were that nice. That's unbelievable. We are. You dispel the myth. Here we go. Question number one, Trav. Beyonce and this sportswear fashion brand have mutually agreed to part ways?

00:29:08 - 00:29:09 | Speaker 3:

It's Adidas.

00:29:09 - 00:29:41 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Question number two. Name two of the four teams who have made it to this year's NCAA March Madness Final Four for men. Miami and UConn. Yes. Look at you guys, and I like that. You guys kind of spread the wealth on the Final Four. Question number three. Again, you cannot miss any of these. You got three more questions? Since Harry Styles was spotted making out with model Emily Ratajkowski in Tokyo, which Don't Worry Darling actress was Harry previously linked to?

00:29:42 - 00:29:44 | Speaker 1:

Olivia Wilde. Yes.

00:29:45 - 00:29:56 | Speaker 2:

That dramatic pause scared me. Question number four. ABC has renewed Grey's Anatomy for a 20th season. What U.S. city does Grey's take place in?

00:29:57 - 00:29:58 | Speaker 3:

Oh, man, I'm about to guess.

00:30:00 - 00:30:01 | Speaker 2:

Yes! Look at this guy!

00:30:02 - 00:30:03 | Speaker 1:

What a guess!

00:30:04 - 00:30:28 | Speaker 2:

It comes down to this one. Oh my God. For your fifth win in a row, you've got to get this question right. Yep. If you miss it, Kate, you're back with us tomorrow. John Wick 4 scored big at the box office over the weekend, becoming the number one movie and breaking a franchise record. Who stars as assassin John Wick? Keanu Reeves. Yes!

00:30:30 - 00:30:30 | Unknown:

Yes.

00:30:31 - 00:30:46 | Speaker 2:

Trav, we got you ready for today in a big way. Feel your pulse. Tell me what your pulse is right now. I bet it's... Oh, my God. My heart is beating out of my chest for real. Kate, that was awesome. You were an amazing challenger.

00:30:47 - 00:30:51 | Speaker 3:

I tried my best. Congratulations, Trav. Thank you, Kate.

00:30:51 - 00:31:14 | Speaker 2:

Hey, we're going to set you up with a prize here. We've got... Oh, this is a good one. Mike, you're going to want to see this. Thank you, man. advanced screening passes to go see air yes that looks so good at the imagine royal oak on april the second it's the uh the movie about the michael jordan and his nike thing right his nike deal is

00:31:14 - 00:31:24 | Speaker 1:

that right it's how jordan it's how basically jordan saved nikes and how they like sought him out and and basically created jordan's around him so that he could be a superstar

00:31:24 - 00:31:32 | Speaker 2:

So congrats to you and Kate on winning that. And Trav, we'll see you tomorrow morning. Looking forward to that, okay? All right. All right, guys. Have a great week.

00:31:33 - 00:31:35 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the mornings, 5 at 6.55.

00:31:37 - 00:31:50 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning show. Just did the 5 at 6.55. We were talking about John Wick and how big that was at the box office this weekend. Megan, you actually went and saw it?

00:31:50 - 00:34:12 | Speaker 3:

Of course I did. Did you like it? I love the John Wicks series. So do I, but Wes said it was terrible. All four of them get amazing reviews. I disagree. Wes must have terrible taste in movies. Well, he liked the other three. I've seen all three. I love the other three. I will say that if you are a fan of the movies, I truly, truly, truly could not recommend that you see it sooner rather than later. It's going to get spoiled. It's going to get spoiled. It got spoiled this morning for me. No. Not by him, by somebody else. I know. And I won't, but this has a big moment where if you love the series, go watch it before it's ruined. That's all I'll say. Now, I had a hard time this weekend because I had a hard time paying attention to the movie. And that was all because I love the previews. My brother and I did this thing where we got to the movies very, very early because we do a voting system during the previews. And it's very dramatic, and it's almost like Joaquin Phoenix, thumbs up, thumbs down, like decide if we're going to see it, if we're not going to see it. And we're watching the previews. We're getting really into it. There's a new movie coming out called Sisu. And I feel like a lot of people have not heard of this movie. We had not heard of this movie. And in the middle of the trailer, there's this guy. He's got his dog. He found some gold. You see that they're bad guys approaching him because he's digging for gold and they, you know, whatever. And then all of a sudden, knife through this dude's skull. And the entire audience, the entire audience, spoiler alert happens 15 seconds into the trailer. The entire audience gasp. My brother and I start laughing because obviously we're here to see John Wick. Spoiler alert for John Wick. Lots of people are going to die. All right. That's kind of the whole point of the movie. Lots of people die. So we laughed, but before we laughed, I felt like a cartoon character because I had the biggest bucket of popcorn that they sold, and I jumped when the knife went through the man's skull, and the popcorn went a-fly-in. It was truly a movie moment, but I felt so bad because we were in essentially, because we saw John Wick on Saturday at like 11.30 in the morning.

00:34:13 - 00:34:14 | Speaker 2:

With the old people.

00:34:14 - 00:34:14 | Speaker 3:

Exactly.

00:34:14 - 00:34:18 | Speaker 2:

And the little kids going to see whatever kid movie was out.

00:34:18 - 00:34:56 | Speaker 3:

So on Friday, my brother was like, let's go see the movie. And I was like, I will fall asleep if we go right now. We have to go tomorrow morning. So it's a pretty empty theater except for the people in front of us who are directly in front of us who get showered in popcorn for me because I dumped like a half a bucket of the jumbo bucket out of her before the movie even started. And I'm like, tears are in my eyes. I'm so embarrassed. I don't know what to do. I've ruined her movie Enjoy the entire movie Did I watch the movie? No I thought about This poor girl is probably a little salty Right now and not salty in the way that she's Upset with me but salty in like literal salt Is probably running down her back right now

00:34:56 - 00:34:58 | Speaker 2:

And you do the popcorn butter too?

00:34:58 - 00:35:01 | Speaker 3:

Of course I do Of course I do.

00:35:01 - 00:35:53 | Speaker 1:

I remember when I would, and this is before they started doing those comfy chairs at the Imagine Theater, when they were theater seating, and you would put your drink down on the ground because I couldn't put it next to me because I was too fat to fit in the seat and have a drink next to me, and I put it down on the ground, it tips over and spills, rolling all the way down to the shoes of the people in front of me, and I've done that a couple of times but one time in particular we got up at the end of the movie and i wanted to see how the people were in front of me because they didn't know that it happened you know obviously they just got wet and a guy's wearing a brand new pair of white jordans yeah he's got like some air force ones or something on and i'm going oh that guy's got like coke on the bottom of his uh on the bottom of his thing and now that it is the stadium seating

00:35:53 - 00:35:59 | Speaker 6:

if you spill something, which if I take the kids, everything gets spilled and it's like a waterfall you hear.

00:35:59 - 00:36:05 | Speaker 4:

And then you're just, you're so embarrassed. It's always silent too. Somehow it's silent in the theater and you hear that.

00:36:05 - 00:36:30 | Speaker 1:

My favorite though is I look like the lady who got popcorn spilled by Megan all over her at the end of a movie when I'm in those recliner chairs. Because at the end of the movie I get up and I've got popcorn all over me and I'm like eating it. Chelsea's like, we can go now. You don't have to keep on it. I'm like, I don't want to waste any of this popcorn, but it just gets all over you. So did the poor lady... She was mad.

00:36:30 - 00:36:33 | Speaker 3:

She was trying not to be mad. She was clear. She deserved to be mad.

00:36:33 - 00:36:38 | Speaker 1:

What did you do at the end of the movie? You had either right or left to go. Did you try to see where she was going to go first?

00:36:38 - 00:36:41 | Speaker 3:

I waited for her to leave before I got out of my seat. Yeah, that's a good plan.

00:36:42 - 00:36:43 | Speaker 2:

Did she stand up and look back at you?

00:36:44 - 00:37:20 | Speaker 3:

Yes. It was very awkward. But during the movie, there was popcorn all over the floor, and my legs had fallen asleep, and they were crossed. And it was a quiet part of the movie. And I uncrossed my leg just to crunch out all the popcorn that was still on the floor underneath me. I was a nuisance the entire movie. And then at the very end, I looked at my brother. He's like, it's okay. This stuff happens. You didn't do it intentionally. I was like, go get a broom from somebody so I can clean this up. I hate these people who leave a mess. I was scooping up. This is so gross. Scooping up popcorn with my bare hands off of the floor and putting it back into my bucket to throw away.

00:37:21 - 00:37:32 | Speaker 1:

That's good, though. Because you feel for whoever the kid is or whatever that has to clean up after the theater. People just leave. Are you guys those that when you leave a theater, do you take your garbage with and throw it in the garbage can?

00:37:33 - 00:37:34 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, always. Always.

00:37:34 - 00:37:42 | Speaker 1:

The people drive me crazy that don't. Come on, there's got to be somebody here that doesn't do that. Is there anybody here that doesn't do that? Nobody wants to admit to it.

00:37:42 - 00:37:48 | Speaker 4:

I'll say that even if I saw somebody else's, though, I wouldn't pick up somebody else's. I wouldn't pick up somebody else's. I agree with you there.

00:37:48 - 00:38:02 | Speaker 1:

But don't pick up their own. And I just, when I see that, that people do that, I'm thinking they've never had to work and clean up after anybody, if that's the case. Because all it takes is just putting your garbage in the bucket of the popcorn stuff. What's up, Andrea?

00:38:04 - 00:38:09 | Speaker 3:

I was going to say, Megan, you spilled the best part of the popcorn all over that poor girl.

00:38:10 - 00:38:11 | Speaker 4:

The top part.

00:38:11 - 00:38:18 | Speaker 3:

The top's the best. And then my brother was so mad at me because he said exactly the same thing. He's like, that's where all the butter is, Megan. That's where all the butter is.

00:38:18 - 00:38:30 | Speaker 1:

So it's just dry the rest of the way Do you guys buy The popcorn that's refillable And you can actually go and refill Because I don't do it because I don't want to have to get up During the movie and go get it

00:38:30 - 00:38:34 | Speaker 3:

You do it so you can get some for the road You fill it up on your way up the door

00:38:34 - 00:38:36 | Speaker 1:

That's a good idea

00:38:36 - 00:38:40 | Speaker 3:

Please Movie theater popcorn is the best popcorn

00:38:40 - 00:38:44 | Speaker 1:

You gotta figure it out Alright John Wick I gotta go check that out

00:38:44 - 00:38:47 | Speaker 3:

00:41:53 - 00:41:56 | Speaker 1:

That's the latest thing now. Maria Shriver told you that?

00:41:56 - 00:42:15 | Speaker 3:

She told me to get it, so I'm trying it. It's got ashagawanda in it. It's got collagen and omega-3s and all the things my brain needs to be healthy. I don't know. It's probably a bunch of garbage. But I'm such a good shopper for everything else. Mojo always makes fun of me. I research everything.

00:42:15 - 00:42:29 | Speaker 1:

Oh, man. This guy gets – I didn't even know Consumer Reports was still a thing. Yeah. Yeah, I pay for the digital. He pulls out Consumer Reports and is like, hold on, let me tell you a little bit about this. Here's the Consumer Reports, best cars to drive if you're in a range.

00:42:29 - 00:42:37 | Speaker 2:

When I was looking for a car seat when Smith was born, I asked the guy who didn't even have a baby at the time. I'm like, can you do the research for me? I know you will do the most thorough job.

00:42:37 - 00:43:01 | Speaker 3:

I want my friend's baby to be safe. This week, I spent the whole weekend on Consumer Reports because I'm trying to build a little deck in the backyard. And I want to see what is best Or is it composite Or is it the PVC And Bob Vila told them But they don't tell you food Bob Vila and Marina Shriver Bob Vila still got a great website For home improvement Oh yes he does

00:43:01 - 00:43:06 | Speaker 1:

He, Maria Shriver, and Kathy Lee Giver They actually belong to the same country club

00:43:06 - 00:44:20 | Speaker 3:

So food wise I bought this new cereal At the end of the week Called Sweet Dreams What is Sweet Dreams cereal, you ask? Sounds lovely. Well, it was next to my Fruity Pebbles. I start reading the box. It's designed to help you sleep. And I was thinking about it. I'm like, God, on weekends, I have such trouble falling asleep. I get so excited Saturday and Sundays I want to stay up. And then it throws off my whole schedule for the morning show. Supposedly, eating a bowl of this cereal as a snack at night is supposed to help you get a good night's sleep. Oh. And so I'm reading the box. Bad for your waistline, though. Well, yeah, I didn't even think about all that. I was just thinking, like, I need help falling asleep. I'm going to eat a bowl of cereal at night And it has like lavender and chamomile And blueberries and all these things are supposed to help Your natural melatonin Production or whatever it is Well after having a bowl I was sitting there reading the box While I'm eating it and I'm like what a bunch of crap Did I just fall for another gimmick If it's food related for some reason I buy it immediately with no research Everything else I'm very skeptical About but when it comes to seeing A new product on store shelves And I think it's also because I'm always hungry when I'm at Kroger, I just always buy everything. I don't know why, but sleepy cereal seems very creepy to me.

00:44:20 - 00:44:26 | Speaker 2:

It sounds like you're about to get drugged real bad. Yeah, it does. Let me...

00:44:26 - 00:44:28 | Speaker 1:

Eat this cereal.

00:44:29 - 00:44:34 | Speaker 3:

Well, I must have been drugged to spend $4.79 on this. It didn't even have good taste to it. It tastes like cardboard.

00:44:35 - 00:44:42 | Speaker 1:

Maybe if it had, I don't know, maybe if it had edibles in it or it had THC in the thing, maybe I would think about it.

00:44:42 - 00:44:43 | Speaker 3:

Hell yeah.

00:44:43 - 00:44:45 | Speaker 1:

Although it made me eat the whole box at once.

00:44:45 - 00:44:49 | Speaker 3:

If it was called Cinnamon Toast Snooze, I would have eaten the whole thing. Exactly.

00:44:51 - 00:44:54 | Speaker 1:

That's so funny, though, that you will actually see it.

00:44:54 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 3:

Do you guys ever fall for gimmicks? Like the product that's just stupid, but you buy it because you're just in the mall.

00:45:00 - 00:45:05 | Speaker 2:

Everything. Yeah, I know Mojo does. Skechers, Shape-Ubs.

00:45:05 - 00:45:09 | Speaker 3:

Everything Mojo buys, there ends up being a class action lawsuit six months later.

00:45:10 - 00:45:23 | Speaker 4:

But the grocery store is the worst place. I just bought Lucky Charms hot chocolate the other day with the marshmallows, the cereal. That kind of stuff always gets me at the grocery store. The end caps get me. The fun stuff.

00:45:23 - 00:45:48 | Speaker 2:

If it's on the end cap, I'm buying it. For some reason, if it's on the end cap is, you know, right at the beginning of the aisle, you know, it's sitting right there. If it's right there and it's got a big old beautiful display or like at times of year, like I end up buying stuff like, you know, Super Bowl time comes. They always see the big Frito-Lay like football thing with, you know, it's like, I don't know who it is. It's Peyton Manning or something like that standing there in front of a thing. I'm like, I got to have Peyton's nachos.

00:45:48 - 00:46:33 | Speaker 3:

yeah i i you were talking last week in the studio about the cinnamon toast crunch butter spread or whatever i don't even know what it is it's like it's kind of like nutella but it's cinnamon flavored and i if i see something in this i can't not buy it i always buy it and then i bring it home and then meg's like looking at me with side eyes because i'm she's encouraged me to like snack less i just love sweets so much explain how she encourages you to snack less well she just you know reminds me gently that you know i always complain pat on your belly i yeah i always complain i can't get rid of this this what i call my beer belly but it's not the beer belly i only have a few i only have a few beers on the weekend it's really it's the snacking it's the sugar has she

00:46:33 - 00:46:37 | Speaker 2:

said that we should go to bars less though because if she's a little worried that you're

00:46:37 - 00:46:42 | Speaker 3:

maybe no that's the problem she likes bars too so she'll have her her beer and chelsea you know

00:46:42 - 00:46:52 | Speaker 2:

what Chelsea will do to get me to snack last? She'll leave out articles about how it's really bad to have all your weight in your belly. She'll be like, hey, I put some stuff by your bag.

00:46:52 - 00:46:54 | Speaker 3:

And if those articles do, they stress me out

00:46:54 - 00:47:22 | Speaker 2:

and I need to eat. Well, it's funny because I don't even see the articles. I think that she was reading an article and just mistakenly put it in my pile. And I don't even know about it. But I will say this to you, that the worst place to fall for this stuff is at Costco or Sam's Club because it's in bulk. So you buy it And it's in bulk, and then you feel like you have to eat it. Or you're stuck with it. Yeah. It's the worst. What's up, Anne-Marie? Hello. Welcome to Back to the Mojo on the Morning Show. How are you?

00:47:22 - 00:47:41 | Speaker 5:

Hey, good morning to all of you. Good morning. I just wanted to comment that I work part-time at Kroger's as a cashier, and people will come through with tons of groceries, and I'll be looking and thinking to myself, hmm, I need to try that. Oh, I need to try that. So before you know it, I'm spending money. It's worse than working at a clothing store.

00:47:41 - 00:47:52 | Speaker 2:

That actually would be so hard for me not to get excited about people's orders. And then do they ever get annoyed if you say it out loud, like where you talk about everything that they're buying?

00:47:53 - 00:47:56 | Speaker 5:

Well, I'll ask questions sometimes, and they're like, okay, just bring it through.

00:47:56 - 00:47:58 | Speaker 2:

Right. I just want to get out of here.

00:47:58 - 00:47:59 | Speaker 5:

What is it? What is it in? Yeah.

00:48:00 - 00:48:02 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, Kim? Hi, it's Mojo in the Morning.

00:48:03 - 00:48:08 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. Good morning. Well, let's talk about Shannon's moisturizers. Like, how many of those? A lot.

00:48:09 - 00:48:13 | Speaker 3:

A lot. I watch her Instagram. She must be the moistest person I know.

00:48:13 - 00:48:14 | Speaker 4:

I wish I was.

00:48:15 - 00:48:16 | Speaker 3:

I'm like, what is she?

00:48:16 - 00:48:30 | Speaker 4:

If my skin's oily, there's one. In the winter, there's one. If my legs are dry, there's another one. You got to buy them all. I am influenced. Yep. I am, too. I have actually purchased things that you have posted on Instagram. Yep.

00:48:30 - 00:48:31 | Speaker 1:

Really? Well, I won't.

00:48:31 - 00:48:38 | Speaker 4:

Shannon is an influencer. True story. I will not post about it if I don't actually use it and like it. And even yesterday, I posted some that I hated.

00:48:39 - 00:48:41 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really? Yes. You actually said you hated it?

00:48:41 - 00:48:42 | Speaker 4:

Yep. Oh, wow.

00:48:42 - 00:48:45 | Speaker 2:

Could you get sued for that? So don't waste your money. You can't get sued for that, can you?

00:48:45 - 00:48:46 | Speaker 4:

That's my opinion.

00:48:46 - 00:48:47 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's true. Yeah.

00:48:48 - 00:48:50 | Speaker 4:

Thanks, guys. Have a great day. What'd you say, Maggie?

00:48:50 - 00:48:51 | Speaker 2:

Thanks. Take care.

00:48:51 - 00:48:54 | Speaker 4:

That Real Housewives reunion. It's my opinion.

00:48:54 - 00:49:27 | Speaker 2:

That's right. Hold on. Hold on. My wife wants to say something real quick. I screwed something up about the whole lion's mane thing. She's very particular about this stuff right now. I'm going to try to see if I can get her on the phone here. Chelsea, do we have a phone ringing? here no i don't chelsea are you there oh hold on a second hold on i think my thing didn't plug in are you there chelsea oh my gosh hi sorry about that um i just i made a wrong comment about lion's

00:49:27 - 00:49:37 | Speaker 1:

mane is that right lion's mane is for your brain turkey tail is the one that i did research on

00:49:37 - 00:49:43 | Speaker 2:

for like for cancer okay so she makes me take this stuff in the morning turkey tail turkey

00:49:43 - 00:49:56 | Speaker 3:

okay yeah turkey tail and lion's mane so megan don't you have a guy we can get mushrooms from they're not that kind of mushrooms because i thought these things were going to be fun

00:49:56 - 00:50:08 | Speaker 2:

like i'm like oh if they're a mushroom i'll take it because i mean That'll hide my brain. Okay, so this turkey tail, Chelsea, I'm looking this up. They've been using this for cancer treatment in Japan for decades upon decades. Like, this is no joke.

00:50:09 - 00:50:14 | Speaker 1:

No, and it's been recognized by the American Cancer Society.

00:50:14 - 00:50:26 | Speaker 6:

Wow, okay. All right, well, listen. Listen, Maria Shriver. I'm going to check it out. Chelsea, you have trouble sleeping. Spike should turn on this cereal to you. He's got sleeping cereal.

00:50:27 - 00:50:30 | Speaker 1:

I need, yeah, I need major help with sleeping.

00:50:31 - 00:50:38 | Speaker 7:

Well, the funny part is I'm thinking we're probably sleepy because we just ate a giant bowl of cereal and our stomach's full. It's probably nothing to do with what's in it.

00:50:38 - 00:50:42 | Speaker 4:

None of y'all have taken an edible and had half a beer and then just go, all right.

00:50:43 - 00:50:45 | Speaker 7:

Well, I'm trying to do it the natural way.

00:50:45 - 00:50:54 | Speaker 6:

There's just something about roofie pebbles that just creep me out. I don't know. The edibles worked for you, Chelsea, for a while, and then what happened? You just kind of got used to it?

00:50:54 - 00:51:05 | Speaker 1:

yeah i built up a big tolerance and then i was taking way too much and i didn't like that yeah then you're in bed all day don't sleep yeah no i don't sleep at all well it's high all day

00:51:05 - 00:51:22 | Speaker 7:

yeah it's horrible yeah well that's why i was always afraid somebody gave me some for 4 20 last year and i just threw them away because they finally expired i never took them because i thought oh maybe if i have a day where i need to get sleep but i'm always afraid it's gonna like how do i know my dose that i'm not gonna be high the whole next day those were good what's

00:51:22 - 00:51:22 | Speaker 4:

wrong with that?

00:51:25 - 00:51:27 | Speaker 6:

Those were good edibles too. You don't ever throw away anything.

00:51:27 - 00:51:31 | Speaker 7:

Although if you saw what I bring home to snack on, you would think I was high every day.

00:51:31 - 00:51:33 | Speaker 6:

Alright, it's Mojo in the Morning show.

00:51:34 - 00:51:47 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning. Everywhere you go. On Twitter, Facebook and IG. At Mojo in the Morn. Hell, we're even on the overhead in Kroger. And find us on the iHeartRadio app. And listen to the Mojo podcast every day.

00:51:49 - 00:51:51 | Speaker 7:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:51:52 - 00:51:55 | Speaker 6:

All right, we'll get you caught up on what's trending this hour. It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:51:56 - 00:52:12 | Speaker 2:

Okay, this one kind of surprised me. And I know you always make fun of me when I say this, when it comes to celebrity relationships and marriages. But Reese Witherspoon and her husband, Jim Toth, announced they're divorcing after 11 years of marriage. Scott Mac is punching the air right now.

00:52:12 - 00:52:15 | Speaker 4:

What? Oh, that's his celebrity crush. Oh, really?

00:52:15 - 00:52:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yes.

00:52:16 - 00:52:17 | Speaker 7:

Now he's got a chance.

00:52:18 - 00:53:24 | Speaker 2:

The reason behind this one, no romance. A source telling me, truly, there is no big scandal or drama here, just two people who essentially became roommates and co-parents of their 10-year-old son, Tennessee, and don't really have any romantic feelings for each other anymore. There's zero spark. I also heard he's going through a midlife crisis, and that was not helping their case here. And a second source pointed out to me That neither one of them Have actually filed for divorce yet As far as we know And said maybe this is something That they will keep working on But she did make a statement about it Over the weekend So yeah She finds herself a single lady again Taylor Swift fans I'm going to do my newscaster line Taylor Swift fans still have bad blood With Ticketmaster And you know that's going to be used Again and again and again today So a big group of Swifties is heading to court actually later this morning in a class action lawsuit accusing Ticketmaster's parent company of not only misleading them, but overcharging them for tickets and doing this not just with Taylor Swift, but with other artists as well.

00:53:25 - 00:53:59 | Speaker 4:

Ticketmaster's parent company, Live Nation, saying earlier this year. We apologize to Ms. Swift. We need to do better and we will do better. But that's not all. I know when the hotline bling. Drake fans filing a separate lawsuit against Ticketmaster in Canada for alleged price-fixing there, claiming the company knew the Canadian artist would perform two concerts in Montreal, but kept that quiet to boost demand. Experts say the underlying problem, Ticketmaster's monopoly on the market, controlling 70% of the industry.

00:53:59 - 00:54:12 | Speaker 5:

The monopoly issues have been going on for years and years and years and years. There's no one who even comes close to Ticketmaster's strength, its reach, its muscle. its ability to sell the volume of tickets that it has to.

00:54:12 - 00:54:28 | Speaker 6:

The Drake situation is something that we've talked about on the show, that why is it that they don't come out and say, we're going to do two shows and we're going to sell the first one right away? Like, just to give you a forewarning on that, so that you're not having to buy either bad tickets, you know, or bad, you know, seats that are in the nosebleeds.

00:54:28 - 00:54:34 | Speaker 2:

Or spend gobs of money knowing, you know, without knowing that there's another show on the way. You just answered why. Because they want to make money. Well, yeah.

00:54:34 - 00:54:50 | Speaker 7:

Well, I understand that side because they want to make sure it sells fast before they put a second one on show. Because if they put two on sale and then they find out, oh, this artist is a little disappointing for sales in this market, then they're stuck with two half-full shows. So I do get that part.

00:54:50 - 00:54:56 | Speaker 6:

But they rarely ever don't do the second show. Like an artist like a Drake has two shows. They're usually huge, yeah.

00:54:56 - 00:55:13 | Speaker 4:

And if you want to sell out the venue, love it. your prices yeah the fees are the worst i think that artists need to be humbled and i feel like we should have some half-filled venues so you can see how ridiculous it's becoming here's what

00:55:13 - 00:55:23 | Speaker 2:

has to happen the artists aren't making as much money on their music is this is the only way they're making money and i think that that's the problem there's where they're charging everybody for their...

00:55:23 - 00:55:32 | Speaker 4:

Then stop signing to labels. Fix the industry. Seriously, stop signing to these major labels and giving them everything.

00:55:32 - 00:55:47 | Speaker 3:

It's not just the labels. It's the streaming services are paying them nothing. Even the independent artists, people that own their own music, they're just making like one one thousandth of a penny on streaming service plays. When they get played on Spotify and different services, they just don't get paid.

00:55:48 - 00:55:56 | Speaker 4:

But if they banded together, they hold the power. They're the ones that they are... They're the product. You get to make the rules if you all band together.

00:55:56 - 00:56:43 | Speaker 5:

According to a Wisconsin principal, Miley Cyrus and Dolly Parton's song Rainbowland is inappropriate for elementary school kids and is now banned from their concert. The first grade students at Hayer Elementary in Waukesha prepared for their upcoming singing concert, and Rainbowland was on their list of songs that they were going to sing for their moms and dads. Well, the superintendent said the song was dropped because, quote, it could be perceived as controversial. According to recent school policies, for the record, Miley said the song was inspired by the paint in her recording studio. And Dolly said the song is about hope and positivity in dark times. So instead, the students will now be singing Jim Henson's Rainbow Connection from The Muppets. Plus, Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles. And also, It's a Wonderful World.

00:56:43 - 00:56:48 | Speaker 3:

Did they just assume because it was Miley Cyrus that it might be a little wild? Had the word rainbow in it.

00:56:48 - 00:56:50 | Speaker 4:

Or did they think it was too gay?

00:56:50 - 00:56:54 | Speaker 3:

Well, yeah, but it sounds like it's about as gay as Rainbow Connection by the Muppets.

00:56:55 - 00:57:02 | Speaker 2:

Do you see the school down in Florida that is banning the picture of Michelangelo's, the one with the guy's nuts hanging out?

00:57:02 - 00:57:06 | Speaker 3:

Classic Renaissance. How do you teach art without teaching Michelangelo?

00:57:07 - 00:57:11 | Speaker 4:

Or just nude figures in general. You're going to erase a lot of art.

00:57:11 - 00:58:02 | Speaker 5:

Kanye West says he's done a 180 When it comes to his views about Jewish people All thanks to Jonah Hill Kanye took to Instagram over the weekend to announce He was watching the movie 21 Jump Street Starring Jonah and Channing Tatum When he had this epiphany about the Jewish race He writes Watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump Street Made me like Jewish people again No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people. No Christian can be labeled anti-Semite knowing Jesus is due. Thank you, Jonah Hill. I love you. I am only giving you this story. I'm shaking my head as I'm reading it. Okay? Very cool. That's what he said. But he still said at the end that he's not anti-Semitic? Okay. Mm-hmm.

00:58:02 - 00:58:03 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Mm-hmm.

00:58:04 - 00:58:10 | Speaker 5:

And lastly, Don Wick Chapter 4, the fourth installment in the Keanu Reeves Assassin series. Megan blew it for us.

00:58:11 - 00:58:16 | Speaker 2:

She didn't give a spoiler alert. She said a lot of people die. And it was very mean that she did that.

00:58:16 - 00:58:19 | Speaker 5:

73 and a half million dollars at the box office.

00:58:20 - 00:58:27 | Speaker 1:

You come here thinking there is a way out of this world for you, Mr. Wick. Or is not.

00:58:28 - 00:58:46 | Speaker 5:

At 58 years old, this is Keanu's biggest blockbuster in more than two decades. He's that old? I did not know that. Shut up. He's 23. No, he's 58. It is the best opening of the franchise on a domestic and international scale. And I know it completely outgrossed the first film's worldwide haul of $76 million. It was a big weekend for him.

00:58:46 - 00:58:50 | Speaker 2:

I thought I looked good for my age, man. I didn't know Keanu Reeves. That's amazing.

00:58:51 - 00:58:54 | Speaker 5:

He's so hot. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on the Dirty on the Morning.com.

00:58:55 - 00:59:02 | Speaker 3:

Get the stories you'll talk about all day on Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. And another phone scam in minutes.

00:59:03 - 00:59:05 | Speaker 2:

Do you think Keanu takes like a...

00:59:05 - 00:59:07 | Speaker 3:

He gets those mosh protein bars for his brain.

00:59:07 - 01:00:52 | Speaker 2:

All right, Mojo on the morning show. Phone number is 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I was listening to a couple of different morning shows on our iHeartRadio platform this weekend, doing a little bit of work for the company. And one of the things I realized, none of the radio shows ever give out their phone numbers or the text lines. And it's no doubt that they don't have any phone calls. Like I was listening to a couple shows, and they had no calls on their show. And we are so blessed to have the greatest listeners in the world that still participate. They wake up, even though they might be some listening on, you know, podcast or later in the day, and they can't participate. We get those wild, crazy listeners that give us the good stories to talk about. Well, now I figured out why the other shows don't have people calling. You never. hear what the hell the phone number is everybody what do we just assume that everybody just knows what's going on here so 844-665-6548 844 mojo live program it into your phone please do that for us or if you want to text text 95500 and you can send a comment and if you do send a comment look Look for a phone call from our, you know, director, show director, Lydia, who will call you and try to get you to go on the air with us. So make sure that you keep your phone handy. And if you get a weird number calling your unidentified number, answer it because it could be us, especially after you just sent that text. Mike. Yes. This is actually a funny story. Have you ever witnessed a very overly protective mom, it sounds like? Where were you guys at?

01:00:53 - 01:01:26 | Speaker 3:

So we went to a little brunch spot in Holland called De Boers. It's like the duchest of Dutch brunch places in the entire world. Like all Dutch food, like very authentic. I didn't know what Pigs in a Blanket was until I went there. And I'm like, oh, that's delicious. That looks amazing. You never knew what Pigs in a Blanket was? It's not what you think it is, though. You think it's like a hot dog in like a... Crescent roll. Yeah, yeah. Rolled up in a crescent roll? No, this isn't. It's like some sort of pancake-y type of sausage wrapped up in like a... Oh, that sounds good. Oh, it was very, very, very... I bought a bunch to take home with me.

01:01:26 - 01:01:28 | Speaker 4:

Can you say it in a Dutch accent?

01:01:30 - 01:01:31 | Speaker 3:

I don't even know a Dutch accent.

01:01:31 - 01:01:43 | Speaker 4:

I was going to say, what's a Dutch accent? Isn't it like... I'm not going to do it. I don't know. I just think it's like Austin Powers and like that. I'm from Holland. Isn't that weird?

01:01:44 - 01:01:44 | Unknown:

Oh, yeah.

01:01:49 - 01:03:56 | Speaker 3:

So we took Allie there for like a birthday, a late birthday celebration, brunch or whatever. And we're in line waiting there. And it's like a bakery, half bakery, half restaurant. So there's like a line where you sit down and wait. And somebody walks up and announces basically that your table is ready. It's a very small town. I love everything about it. and so this little this young man comes to the the little desk and he starts announcing names but he's probably maybe 16 17 years old so he's like hey uh table for joseph table for uh and then this woman stands up out of nowhere and she looks at me dead in the eyes and smiles really really big and goes joseph hey joseph and party of three and she sits down and she looks around she goes that's my son don't worry about it that's my son and then another boy walks up i say boy because these are these are very young guys edwin walks up and and like starts whispering to her and i think he's like telling her hey you can't do that you know but that's also her son so she's got two sons that work there and mom came to go watch them work she was well no she was going there to eat but i thought at one point she was trying to get good seats like i thought she was trying to finagle good seeds because she kept looking over at me and we were like up next like we were in the line thing we were up next so she keeps looking over at me and like smiling and then she'll stand up and start doing this guy's job for him and you could tell he's getting embarrassed and like he's like mom what's up and she keeps looking over at me and smiling and and i'm like she's either trying to finagle a seat or my kid so then i look over at my kids or my kids are doing something inappropriate which is 100 possible turns out her name is melissa clausen and i call her out specifically because she dm me and she goes sorry if i creeped you out i was trying so hard not to fangirl especially since my kid was a host hope everything was delicious uh visit again soon and i said no no you should have you always say hi like oh every time you see somebody say hi and walk over and she said my son told me do not approach that man do not say anything to that man i guess he was so embarrassed because mom was was doing his job yeah by the way how cute is that

01:03:56 - 01:04:35 | Speaker 2:

though because of i thought so too yeah because i i mean i listen i remember do you remember your guys's first jobs my first job I was at an ice cream place and I remember when my family came in to have get ice cream and I remember my my mom and I was just a little little kid I was like working for my brother and at like 12 years old and my mom was like oh he's doing such a good job and taking pictures of me back then it wasn't on a camera or on a phone it was a camera like she's bringing camera pictures to take pictures of me working it has that ever happened anybody where your your mom gets overly excited about your new job that they show up at your work so my first

01:04:35 - 01:04:47 | Speaker 1:

job was I was like a nanny like a babysitter for a family for a summer and they had a baby well I was like 15 14 15 I really I was responsible but I did not know what the heck I was doing

01:04:47 - 01:04:54 | Speaker 4:

so I always give you babies I don't know how to change a diaper yeah like I would call my mom

01:04:54 - 01:05:39 | Speaker 1:

and be like okay the baby's doing this what do i do yeah my mom was my savior for that like i leaned on my mom so much for that first job um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 uh to talk to you whether when you were a kid and you had your first job and your parents started doing your job like melissa clausen is that what you said her name yeah yeah i might be saying her last name like melissa or or if you were the mom that has done this with your kids because I remember my mom helped me also with my paper route. Back in the day, they used to have newspapers that people would get on their front driveways. I don't think that they do anymore. They might. Who knows? But I used to have to deliver.

01:05:39 - 01:05:40 | Speaker 2:

Those people scare me every morning.

01:05:41 - 01:05:51 | Speaker 1:

I used to have to deliver newspapers, and my mom never wanted me out early in the morning because it was not safe. So she would have it load up. My mom basically was a paper boy. She was the one that delivered newspapers with me.

01:05:51 - 01:05:59 | Speaker 2:

I was not my mother's favorite child because she never cared where I was going. She never visited my first job. She didn't even probably know where I was working.

01:05:59 - 01:06:01 | Speaker 1:

Well, your first job was Burger King, wasn't it?

01:06:01 - 01:06:10 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, she never came in and took pictures. I forgot it was your job. Man, it was on the way home for her, and she never stopped in when she was passing me.

01:06:11 - 01:06:16 | Speaker 1:

Dawn, you're that mom, right? I am. Where do you go?

01:06:18 - 01:06:39 | Speaker 5:

I've had a couple of my kids and my niece that had their first job at McDonald's. So as soon as they're, like, off training and on their own, I like to go through the drive-thru, and I order a cheeseburger without the bun, without the meat, without the ketchup, without the mustard, without the onion, without the pickle. And they just look at you like, what? And then, you know, you drive up, and they hand you a piece of cheese.

01:06:40 - 01:06:46 | Speaker 1:

You're like the mean mom, though. You're not the one trying to help them. You're trying to make their job more difficult.

01:06:47 - 01:06:49 | Speaker 5:

Well, yeah, and then I definitely take a picture.

01:06:49 - 01:06:52 | Speaker 1:

Oh, gosh. They love you for that, don't they?

01:06:53 - 01:06:56 | Speaker 5:

They will never forget their first job.

01:06:57 - 01:06:59 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Brittany, what's up?

01:06:59 - 01:07:02 | Speaker 8:

Hi, good morning, Marcia. I love you guys.

01:07:02 - 01:07:03 | Speaker 1:

Oh, we love you, too. Thanks for listening.

01:07:03 - 01:07:04 | Speaker 8:

We love you, too.

01:07:04 - 01:07:07 | Speaker 1:

What's going on? Your dad was the embarrassing one?

01:07:08 - 01:07:48 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, my dad rest his soul. He's halfway now. But, yeah, when I first worked at Macy's, I used to take the bus. and he he cried the first day he helped me and he was just so proud you know and uh i remember like i was so embarrassed but i was just finishing up with the cash register and uh so this is out on the floor in front of customers yeah like i was just i mean the tip but he was so proud and he just took a picture but it comes up on my facebook page as memories and since it's gone And I regret being so embarrassed.

01:07:48 - 01:07:49 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah.

01:07:49 - 01:07:51 | Speaker 4:

What a good memory of your dad.

01:07:51 - 01:07:52 | Speaker 1:

That is such a great memory.

01:07:52 - 01:08:00 | Speaker 2:

Man, he's hugging you on the cash register floor. And my mom was telling me from the other room, take your clothes off in the garage. They smell like chicken sandwiches.

01:08:02 - 01:08:05 | Speaker 8:

They always had a reason to embarrass us.

01:08:05 - 01:08:10 | Speaker 1:

Most parents would just want your Macy's discount. Right, right. Dad was just proud. What's up, Tiffany?

01:08:12 - 01:08:14 | Speaker 4:

Hi, good morning. First time caller.

01:08:14 - 01:08:15 | Speaker 1:

Oh, thanks for calling.

01:08:15 - 01:08:49 | Speaker 4:

so i was actually the embarrassing parent my daughter um up until recently was living with her father and so during the summer she would be week on week off with me and so she got a job at a mexican restaurant i was working at at the time as a busser and she would start interacting with the other bussers and other staff and i would stand behind walls and stare at her like a total creeper like she's making friends and like snap pictures and send them to my family as like it was so awkward and she was like can you please just stop you're really really embarrassed

01:08:49 - 01:09:02 | Speaker 1:

uh julian yes hey you were a bagger at uh at kroger yes and my mom would come up and

01:09:02 - 01:09:07 | Speaker 7:

i would help her out to her car because she would request help so that i could smoke a cigarette

01:09:07 - 01:09:24 | Speaker 1:

different kind of help that she was giving you Brianna this is kind of wild imagine that you got the mom that comes to your work and what did your mom do Brianna oh my goodness so I had my

01:09:24 - 01:09:39 | Speaker 6:

interview and right after my interview my mom had said something to them and she ended up getting a job the same day as me and then a month later I ended up getting fired and my mom worked there up until literally just, like, three years ago. Oh, my God. I was a freshman in high school.

01:09:39 - 01:09:47 | Speaker 1:

So you got the job at Panera first. Your mom applied at the same time. Were you upset that your mom was actually applying for a job at the same place you were working at?

01:09:48 - 01:09:57 | Speaker 6:

I was a little upset at first, but then it wasn't as bad. But she didn't even apply. She just, like, went up to them and said something, and they're like, all right, well, you have a job as well.

01:09:57 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 3:

It was a great day.

01:10:00 - 01:10:17 | Speaker 4:

I remember when we were hiring interns when I first started working here and my dad came in for the interview. Yeah. No. But wearing the t-shirt of our competing radio station. And our producer KP's mom drove her to the very first time that we saw her.

01:10:17 - 01:10:19 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, she did. She's a good mama.

01:10:19 - 01:10:36 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. You're home of the phone scams. Aubrey is getting married this weekend and gave her groom-to-be one job. He had to plan the honeymoon travel Now she wants us to call And tell him it's all messed up It's a Mojo in the Morning phone scam

01:10:36 - 01:10:46 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the Morning phone scam Hello

01:10:46 - 01:10:50 | Speaker 3:

Hey how you doing this is Phil from Is this Howie

01:10:50 - 01:10:52 | Speaker 2:

This is Howard yes

01:10:52 - 01:10:54 | Speaker 3:

Howard oh you don't hear a lot of Howards nowadays

01:10:54 - 01:10:57 | Speaker 2:

Okay What can I do for you

01:10:57 - 01:11:05 | Speaker 3:

Well, we got a little problem with your vacation. The arrangements that we made for your honeymoon changed just the slightest bit, so I want to make sure you're up to speed.

01:11:06 - 01:11:07 | Speaker 2:

I've been dealing with Marsha.

01:11:07 - 01:11:19 | Speaker 3:

Right, and I do apologize you have to hear from me, but Marsha's no longer with our company, so I'm going over all her accounts, and that's where I just realized this horrible error. And you're getting married this weekend, is that right?

01:11:20 - 01:11:21 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

01:11:21 - 01:11:26 | Speaker 3:

Good. Oh, great. Congratulations. And Aubrey's the bride? How's she doing? You guys nervous?

01:11:27 - 01:11:29 | Speaker 2:

Well, what's going on with my travel arrangements?

01:11:29 - 01:11:46 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I don't know why Marsha did this. I'm looking at this and realizing there's no direct flights. I think she had you a connection here. I can't find it. But now I've got you going Detroit to New York, and then you're going to connect down, and we'll get you to Jamaica, like, within eight or nine hours.

01:11:47 - 01:11:49 | Speaker 2:

There shouldn't be any connection.

01:11:49 - 01:11:55 | Speaker 3:

Right. Well, that's the problem. Yeah, because we're booking your flight so late, we can't get any direct flights.

01:11:55 - 01:12:01 | Speaker 2:

But we're not booking the flight late. I booked this six months ago.

01:12:01 - 01:12:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you didn't, though. That's why I was saying, I don't know if you heard me about Marsha. She messed this up. She no longer works with the company, but she never actually booked.

01:12:10 - 01:12:16 | Speaker 2:

I shouldn't be held responsible for that. I took care of my end six months ago. You took my money six months ago.

01:12:16 - 01:12:30 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, she did. And I do apologize. When you booked the whole vacation through us, the one thing she didn't do was book your flights. And that's why I'm trying to resolve that now. So I got you Detroit to New York, New York to Raleigh, and then just a quick stop in Nashville, and then boom, you're off to Jamaica.

01:12:30 - 01:12:32 | Speaker 2:

No, that's two connections.

01:12:33 - 01:12:42 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, well, to get you there same day. You have absolutely nothing. Well, if you don't like Nashville, how about I got this one? It's Detroit to Jamaica through Seattle.

01:12:43 - 01:12:44 | Speaker 2:

That's farther.

01:12:45 - 01:13:19 | Speaker 3:

I'm here to solve your problems. How about we do this? You're going Detroit to Atlanta and then a jump to Dallas where you get on a plane to the islands. i need it to be a direct flight right but it's less than two weeks notice now it's just not possible to get a direct flight i'm not responsible for that i told you marcia doesn't work here anymore we caught her embezzling so you can understand we got problems too okay here's the fix how about this one detroit the rally over to denver or we can have you stay the night and rally then you don't have an extra connection you just go detroit the rally spend the night leave in the

01:13:19 - 01:13:24 | Speaker 2:

morning for Jamaica. How is that a fix? That's the worst one yet. That's an overnight. Well,

01:13:24 - 01:13:35 | Speaker 3:

yeah, but then this is the great thing. You guys don't have as many connections and then you leave at 830 and Aubrey would leave at noon. You're both at the bar by happy hour. Dude, you took my

01:13:35 - 01:13:41 | Speaker 2:

money. You didn't work out my flight. This is not on me. I will sue you if this doesn't get any

01:13:41 - 01:13:46 | Speaker 3:

better. Well, I got you down to a three city stop and you're not happy with that. I don't care if

01:13:46 - 01:13:53 | Speaker 2:

You have to book a private plane. We had better be on that island the day that we were supposed to be there.

01:13:54 - 01:14:13 | Speaker 3:

You want to hear about our cruises? No. Howie, I need you to calm down. Howard. Howard, I respect you, and that's why I have one final offer for you. How about I tell you that you've just been the victim of a Mojo in the Morning phone scam, and you're on the radio with us right now?

01:14:13 - 01:14:15 | Speaker 2:

Oh, s***. I can't believe I fell for this.

01:14:16 - 01:14:22 | Speaker 3:

Aubrey told us all you had to do was plan the honeymoon so we had to mess with you.

01:14:23 - 01:14:28 | Speaker 2:

Okay, well, it's fair for her to be a little scared, I guess. Should she be nervous?

01:14:28 - 01:14:30 | Speaker 3:

Did you do a good job planning? I mean, good.

01:14:30 - 01:14:32 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to go check now.

01:14:34 - 01:14:45 | Speaker 1:

We will, we will scam you. You're home with the phone scams. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:14:46 - 01:14:52 | Unknown:

What's up, what's up, what's up, what's up. Make some noise. Make some noise, make some noise.

01:14:53 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 4:

For Mojo, Mike Shannon. For Mojo with the ball. Good morning and welcome.

01:15:00 - 01:16:01 | Speaker 1:

01:16:01 - 01:16:05 | Speaker 3:

of the hour i want i want numbers like that from you all the time you like that coming up in 13

01:16:05 - 01:16:36 | Speaker 1:

minutes coming up in uh coming up in 12 minutes and 42 seconds we will have um well actually coming up uh probably in like 12 minutes and uh 42 seconds uh lydia drunk on the streets of detroit this weekend after she was partying for kp uh in the big birthday concert that they went to the the country concert so we'll talk about that it's mojo in the morning show so um shannon had kind of a you had a kind of a rougher night um or rougher day was this yesterday that this

01:16:36 - 01:19:34 | Speaker 2:

happened or this weekend no it was yesterday so sunday is transition day for my family which means that my ex-husband my husband andrew and i switch where the kids are going to be spending the next week. So yesterday, the kids were coming from Andrew's house to my house. And usually transition day is just tough in general. Like it's a lot of feelings as you're going from one home into another home. And I'm always very prepared for that. But Luz has just been, we've been struggling a little bit with her lately. And just lots of emotions that she's going through. She's going to be nine in two weeks. And I think that there's just a lot going on in her life and with families and you know blending starting to happen and so she had a rough day she got in trouble for um the use of her ipod and there were so many different things so i hate these mornings by the way and i i feel like parents know what i'm talking about here when you wake up in the morning and you just have like a heavy heart because you had a tough night with your kids like it's it's not fun you know you wish you could go back and apologize for doing what was necessary for you to do because you feel so bad about it but you know that you had you had to you know lay down the law and put some consequences into place so last night the the the end of my night was loose getting a consequence um and she had to be in her room for the remainder of the night and this was at like 6 45 7 o'clock okay and it's spring break by the way so this sucked for her because she thought she was going to be staying up late with her brother and spring break right um so she was not very happy with me and just protesting it and freaking out about it and at one point I was downstairs watching tv with Smith my five-year-old and she comes down which she wasn't supposed to be out of her room she comes down she had packed her bag and she marched down the stairs I could hear her coming down and she told me she was leaving she that was it this eight-year-old was out moving out where was she going she didn't tell me i am leaving and he said well you're not leaving i am leaving and if you don't let me out i will open my window and i will climb out onto the roof and i will jump down that way i love her i and she megan she was dead serious like there was not a smirk on her face she was determined that she was going to run away with this little teeny tiny bag and i thought hmm that's a lifetime of clothes packed into that bag doesn't really work out for you but even though I was really angry inside after the fact I was thinking I remember being for maybe my dad tells me the story I don't really remember that I packed my pink bag with the teddy bears on it and my dad actually let me leave the house and he said he watched me in the window go down the street and get to the corner and I turned around and told him, I am going to Las Vegas. That's where I was running away to.

01:19:36 - 01:19:38 | Speaker 2:

I didn't ask Luz where she was going. I should have asked her.

01:19:39 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 3:

Mine was a Barney suitcase. Piled it up. Yep. What was in it, though, was no clothes, no food. I did have one naked Barbie. Sure. The essentials, one night say. And a suitcase. And I remember walking so slowly. And my dad's sitting on the porch laughing because he's a good father. And he was like, you're not going far.

01:20:00 - 01:20:13 | Speaker 7:

you're scared of everything you'll be back in five minutes and i was like i'm leaving i would take three steps and look back to make sure he's still watching i'm never coming back and i would take the three steps and look back he's still watching and as soon as my dad went back in the

01:20:13 - 01:20:46 | Speaker 1:

house i immediately turned around and came home was like can i come back inside yeah well and the scary part yesterday was i i had to like keep listening and keep going up to just kind of check and make sure that she was still in her room because i would never put it past her to open the window and i the way that my house is where her room is it's like a very flat roof so a lot of times like sometimes in the summer we'll go out there and put a blanket down and sit and just have like a little chat or so she knows she can get out there and get down that way so that is going to be trouble now that i'm thinking about it i'm going to have to put

01:20:46 - 01:21:11 | Speaker 4:

locks on or you know put in a alarm alarm yeah have it go up i told i didn't run away because I was too lazy to run away. But I did. My dad sent me to my room without food one night. And I screamed down from upstairs at them at the kitchen table. And I said, I'm calling the police and telling them that you don't feed me. And, of course, my dad laughed hysterically. Go ahead.

01:21:12 - 01:21:12 | Unknown:

Go.

01:21:12 - 01:21:17 | Speaker 4:

We'll see exactly that we do. But Miranda, what's going on?

01:21:18 - 01:21:19 | Speaker 7:

Good morning.

01:21:19 - 01:21:22 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. Did you try to run away from home when you were a kid?

01:21:22 - 01:21:24 | Speaker 7:

I did

01:21:24 - 01:21:25 | Speaker 4:

And how far did you get

01:21:25 - 01:21:34 | Speaker 7:

Well I made it to the tree in our front yard I jumped out of my bedroom window Oh gee I live in a trailer, it's not high up

01:21:34 - 01:21:34 | Speaker 2:

Right

01:21:34 - 01:21:48 | Speaker 7:

And it was dark outside And I made it to the tree and I am terrified Still to this day of the dark I couldn't make it out of my yard I went back in and I was like I tried to run away Can I go back to my room now

01:21:48 - 01:21:49 | Speaker 2:

But it was too scary

01:21:49 - 01:21:51 | Speaker 7:

I want to come home

01:21:51 - 01:21:56 | Speaker 2:

And then what did your parents think, like, when they find out you jumped from the window to the tree?

01:21:57 - 01:22:01 | Speaker 7:

She was like, you really thought you were going to make it past the yard in the dark? Really?

01:22:01 - 01:22:08 | Speaker 4:

That's scary, though, isn't it? As a parent, was your mom scared at all about you doing that, about you climbing down?

01:22:09 - 01:22:15 | Speaker 7:

I mean, I won't even walk down the hallway in the dark, so she knew the fact that it was dark out. I wasn't going to go anywhere. Yeah.

01:22:16 - 01:22:32 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. See, I ran away one time, and we had a tree fort in our backyard. and I walked out, and I sat in there for hours, hours, you guys, and went, my parents don't even know that I'm gone. I walked back inside, nobody said anything, and I just went back to bed.

01:22:32 - 01:22:40 | Speaker 2:

And I'm the only one here that never tried to run away, and I think it's because of that fear. I felt like they wouldn't come after, they wouldn't care. It sucks.

01:22:40 - 01:23:45 | Speaker 5:

Hi, Jake. Hey, so my daughter, Emily, she's so bright. She wanted to go to the park so, so, so bad, And so it was, like, raining, and we told her that it's not going to happen. So she's like, okay, fine. I'm just going to run away, and I'm going to go live at the park. And I'm like, sure, that's what you want to do. Go for it. So she grabs her suitcase, and I said, so what are you going to pack in there? And she goes, don't worry about it. Okay, okay. So she goes to her room, and she has this soft flakie that she loves. So she grabs a soft flakie, she grabs her favorite doll, and one granola bar. i said you have fun so i let her walk out the house and she you know she would try to come back in to grab some stuff i said no no no if you're not going to live here then you can't come grab the stuff from my house she's walking out and you know she's standing there and i and she i see her just standing by the tree and not doing anything so finally i opened the door and i said so are we done with this whole facade or are you going and she goes i'm sorry i come inside

01:23:45 - 01:23:53 | Speaker 4:

oh man uh this is a wild so vicky hi hi what did your mom do

01:23:53 - 01:24:21 | Speaker 6:

when i told her i was running away she made me a sandwich for the road and she asked if i had clean underwear and a blanket oh my gosh what a good mom and when i did run away i apparently went out we had two large dogs at the time and i went out and sat in their outdoor doghouse thinking that nobody knew where I was at. But, of course, you know, I found out later she didn't know where I was at.

01:24:21 - 01:24:22 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:24:22 - 01:24:24 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. I didn't last very long.

01:24:25 - 01:24:43 | Speaker 4:

It's wild. A couple of texters saying that their kids did run away and were gone for a little bit and scared the crap out of them. But they never did it again after that because they were also just equally as scared. I always thought to myself, I'm like, where would my kids go if they said that they were going to run away? Like, where would be the first places that they would?

01:24:43 - 01:24:46 | Speaker 2:

Would it be like an extra neighbor, like a friend's house?

01:24:46 - 01:24:47 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. What's up, Ann?

01:24:49 - 01:24:50 | Speaker 6:

Hi.

01:24:50 - 01:24:51 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Good morning.

01:24:51 - 01:24:53 | Speaker 6:

We love you guys. Love you guys.

01:24:53 - 01:24:57 | Speaker 4:

We love you. Your daughter did what Shannon's daughter did. She said she was going to run away?

01:24:58 - 01:25:00 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, yeah. She started to pack a bag.

01:25:00 - 01:25:34 | Speaker 2:

So I helped her pack her bag. I put her toothbrush, her toothpaste in there. I said, make sure you got extra underwear. And then I put two bricks in the suitcase. Wow. You're so mean. So I watched her walk out, walk down the street. And just in those 10 minutes, she came back and she said she contemplated life. And she said that bag was heavy. And she said the back was a sign that her life was going to be heavy. Oh, that's cute. That is very philosophical. That is very cute.

01:25:35 - 01:25:36 | Speaker 1:

That's awesome.

01:25:36 - 01:25:37 | Speaker 2:

Thanks, guys. Bye.

01:25:37 - 01:26:37 | Speaker 1:

Thank you for the call. That's a great story. Mojo in the morning. So my sister, Pat, Aunt Pat, as I refer to her on the show, had a big birthday last week. She celebrated her 60th birthday. and I felt so bad because I called her up and she lives in Chicago and I said Pat what are you doing for your birthday she's like nothing and I'm like you gotta you know people coming over like my sisters and you know my brother and stuff coming over and she was like no you know uh my niece is gonna come over and she's gonna you know visit and stuff and I go do you have a cake like you're gonna do a cake she didn't have a cake so I ended up having to door dash her a cake to her house which is wild because my sister Pat doesn't get the concept of DoorDash. And while we're on the phone, a DoorDash guy brings an Oberweiss ice cream cake, which is Oberweiss is a big Chicago thing there. And we had some here in our area, the ice cream place.

01:26:37 - 01:26:38 | Speaker 2:

We think we have one still.

01:26:38 - 01:28:18 | Speaker 1:

And the guy goes, I'm looking for Tom. Is this Tom's place? And she's like, no, this isn't Tom's place. He goes, well, I heard it's Pat's birthday because I put a note on there. and she was so floored by the whole thing. So then I decided I was going to go in for the day and spend the day with her. So I drove in on Saturday. Thank you, Megan. I love getting an aw. I'm going to pat myself on the back. I love Pat. Pat raised me. Pat and Tracy, they raised me. I lived with them when I was 16 years old. So I left my house at 5 a.m. on Saturday and drove in and was able to get to Chicago in less than four hours. Normally it takes like four to four hours and 20 minutes sometimes or four hours and 30 minutes. I had no traffic. If you're ever going to Chicago, drive like a trucker because they're the only ones on the road beside you. It was amazing what I was doing. So I was flying down there. I had no traffic and everything was good. I showed up at her house. She woke up in the morning and I said, Pat, I'm here. We're going to have some fun. So we did a whole bunch of stuff. We went out and had lunch, and we had dinner, and we just spent the whole day just hanging out. I slept on the couch, on Pat's couch. She fell asleep in her chair, and it was the weirdest thing ever because it reminded me of when I lived with her. And we all, my sisters and I, would all be in the same little place because she lives in the same condos that we rented when we were there. Oh, I did not know that. Isn't that weird? The condo that I grew up in from, like, 16 until I moved to Arizona when I was 20 years old was five places away from there. It was so weird.

01:28:18 - 01:28:20 | Speaker 2:

So it feels like home when you go back.

01:28:20 - 01:28:54 | Speaker 1:

Oh, it's unbelievable. It's like, you know, it's, yeah, it's like, you know, I wanted to play that John Bon Jovi song, Who Says You Can't Go Home. I went home. So Pat was telling me a couple of things, and I explored them a little bit, and I realized that I am a stalker. Because I stalked my high school crush. And here's how it happened. Pat told me that this girl that I went to school with and grew up with works at Von Mar. Have you ever been to a Von Mar? Do we have a Von Mar here? Is it a department store? Yeah, it's a department store.

01:28:54 - 01:28:55 | Speaker 2:

Is there one at Laurel Park Place?

01:28:55 - 01:29:28 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. I feel like there used to be. There's one at Woodland Mall. So Von Mar. So Pat says that my high school crush works at the Von Mar. And to be clear, because these are weird times. You mean when you were in high school, right? No. You don't have somebody who's in high school now. No, she was. Yeah, no, yeah. When I was in high school, my crush. She now as an adult works at WorkCasor. Gotcha. She works at Von Mar. Pat, by the way, is obsessed with Von Mar. Did you know that Von Mar doesn't charge interest on their credit cards? Because the only interest that they are in is you. Pat told me that. What's that?

01:29:28 - 01:29:29 | Speaker 2:

Can you just say Von Mar one more time?

01:29:29 - 01:29:30 | Speaker 1:

Von Mar.

01:29:30 - 01:29:30 | Speaker 2:

Thank you.

01:29:31 - 01:29:43 | Speaker 1:

So, well, I know Von Mar well because I said, Pat, let's load it up. We're getting in the Tahoe, and we're going over to the Orland Square Mall, and we're going to go and visit this girl, because I want to see what she looks like nowadays, because she's not on Facebook.

01:29:43 - 01:29:43 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:29:44 - 01:29:44 | Speaker 1:

So-

01:29:44 - 01:29:47 | Speaker 2:

Some girl life stalking. This is so you.

01:29:47 - 01:29:54 | Speaker 1:

So we went into Von Marr and walked the entire department store to try to find this girl.

01:29:54 - 01:29:54 | Speaker 2:

No, you didn't.

01:29:55 - 01:29:55 | Speaker 1:

Absolutely.

01:29:55 - 01:29:57 | Speaker 2:

Did you find her?

01:29:57 - 01:30:00 | Speaker 1:

We couldn't find her. She wasn't working. Did you ask? I finally-

01:30:00 - 01:31:14 | Speaker 5:

I didn't want to ask somebody because I didn't want to ask somebody and then have them ask because I didn't want her to know I was there specifically. I wanted it to be like, as we like to say, organic. And I wanted it to be like we ran into each other. Oh, my God. Look at you. I haven't seen you in a while. You look so good. What's that? What the whole deal is? So and by the way, I want here's what I want to want for calls on this. I want you to call up and tell us how you stalked a crush because I felt like the person I felt like the person that that has a crush like on somebody in retail and just goes there just to try to look for them. Now, I don't know what she looks like, but Pat said that she looks good. Like, she actually doesn't, you know, she doesn't look bad at all. Like, she's actually, you know, cute like she was when we were growing up in grade school and high school. So, we're walking around this door, and I'm like, no, that doesn't look like her. No, no, that doesn't look like her. And I'm, like, sneaking behind, like, clothing racks, and I'm trying to look at name tags, and I'm trying to figure this whole thing out. I felt like I was so creepy doing this. But with my sister, Pat, it was so funny. And, you know, Pat's handicapped, so she has to get around with a cane and a walker and stuff. So it's tough because I'm, like, walking around with her, and I'm like, Pat, hurry up. We got to go. And I'm realizing she can't go. I'm going fast, Tom. I'm trying, you know.

01:31:14 - 01:31:20 | Speaker 2:

Why did you not videotapes? Oh, my God. It would have been the funniest thing ever. It would have been the best TikTok for you.

01:31:20 - 01:31:49 | Speaker 5:

I was telling Pat about this and how I've known people before that will park their car in certain places so that they can bump into their crush organically again, like the word that we don't use right, that they will do that. Or people that will go and get gas at a gas station just because they know that the person that they have a crush on might be getting gas at that time.

01:31:49 - 01:31:55 | Speaker 2:

Or go out of their way for a Starbucks that's not even near where they're going just to go through the drive-thru.

01:31:55 - 01:31:57 | Speaker 5:

Because the Starbucks person has dreamy eyes.

01:31:58 - 01:31:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:31:59 - 01:32:05 | Speaker 5:

Mojo on the Morning Show. Emily, hi. Hi. You actually stalked your crush?

01:32:07 - 01:32:14 | Speaker 3:

I did. I met him in kindergarten, and I stalked him by going to his father's yard sale.

01:32:15 - 01:32:19 | Speaker 6:

His father's yard sale. So before the yard sale, when's the last time you saw him?

01:32:19 - 01:32:43 | Speaker 3:

um i think my right after senior year which would have been 30 something years ago oh okay so like mojo you were just curious to see what he looked like well yeah yeah yeah did you see him kind of curious i did not i saw all of his children his children looked just like him um the children

01:32:43 - 01:33:07 | Speaker 5:

were there but nope i did not see him and that's the thing i think she's she's married too like so And I'm married, and listen, nothing's going to happen. But you're just kind of like, you reminisce a little bit. You know what I mean? That's why people go to reunions. It would have been easier to go to reunions than walk around an entire Von Marr. I looked at the amount of steps that I got that day. I think I had more than 10,000 steps just walking around that stupid store.

01:33:07 - 01:33:08 | Speaker 6:

Well, no, I'm snot lost.

01:33:08 - 01:33:09 | Speaker 5:

What's up, Amanda?

01:33:10 - 01:33:25 | Speaker 4:

Hi, long-time listener, first-time caller. Woo-hoo! Thank you. my now boyfriend bought a table from my mom on Facebook marketplace so I stalked him online

01:33:25 - 01:33:36 | Speaker 5:

and we finally set it up whoa and you guys ended up meeting that way so that really wasn't well I guess he bought it from you guys and then you started what did you do you started looking at

01:33:36 - 01:33:44 | Speaker 4:

him on and you try to meet him personally yeah it was really difficult but now that table is mine

01:33:44 - 01:34:10 | Speaker 5:

again yeah yo yeah that's wild you guys are together that's awesome that's like you know what they should call your movie called the table you know yeah and have sandra Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds will star in that movie as you and your man was it really that good of a table have you guys by the way real quick have you guys ever

01:34:10 - 01:34:16 | Speaker 4:

baked cookies on that table we have wow come on

01:34:16 - 01:34:43 | Speaker 1:

that's amazing story of the day right there dan what's up my wife used to stalk me several years before we got married, I was a bagger at a grocery store in high school, and she would come through my grocery line, and she'd just get a magazine or something small, and she would just come in and stalk me when I was probably a senior in high school.

01:34:43 - 01:34:46 | Speaker 5:

Did you ever notice that she was doing this? Like, did you notice her?

01:34:47 - 01:34:52 | Speaker 1:

No, never, and it took probably, you know, a couple of weeks into dating until she told me.

01:34:53 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 5:

You better not ever tell her that. You should say, I noticed you because you were so beautiful, but I didn't want to say anything because you're going to make her feel

01:35:00 - 01:35:09 | Speaker 2:

horrible by saying you didn't notice her well we've been married for 14 years now so okay all right i've told her enough times that we haven't i haven't noticed that yeah do you guys still

01:35:09 - 01:35:33 | Speaker 1:

shop at the same grocery store no we moved out of town oh that's wild that's the bagger by the way we got the table and the bagger what would mine be jenna you stalked the guy that's now your husband yes he is wow this is amazing where did you stalk him so we used to work together

01:35:33 - 01:35:46 | Speaker 4:

and we didn't want anyone to really know we had to think for each other so i would get way too many coffee breaks to try to see him or just kind of walk by him going to the bathroom just wanted

01:35:46 - 01:35:55 | Speaker 2:

him to kind of see me and did it work yeah and he's probably like she's got an issue she pees like every 42 minutes.

01:35:56 - 01:35:57 | Speaker 3:

A lot of coffee.

01:35:57 - 01:35:59 | Speaker 4:

Well, I started to notice him doing the same thing,

01:35:59 - 01:36:05 | Speaker 1:

so I think he was too cool. That's wild. You guys were way over-caffeinating yourselves for each other.

01:36:06 - 01:36:06 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:36:07 - 01:36:08 | Speaker 1:

Thank you for the call. Appreciate it.

01:36:09 - 01:36:10 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, thank you, guys.

01:36:10 - 01:36:11 | Speaker 1:

All right, bye.

01:36:12 - 01:36:14 | Speaker 2:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

01:36:15 - 01:36:32 | Speaker 1:

All right, so why are you not getting a call back after you went on a date? We're going to find out right now. so who's not getting the call back uh kp on this on the uh the date uh is it uh tory or or carson

01:36:32 - 01:36:38 | Speaker 4:

it's carson carson's not getting the call back all right carson what's going on carson hey guys

01:36:38 - 01:36:44 | Speaker 1:

how you doing we're doing good so tell us about the date what did you guys do uh we just uh went

01:36:44 - 01:36:53 | Speaker 2:

out uh had a couple uh drinks and had dinner um you know nothing super exciting yeah and i heard

01:36:53 - 01:36:57 | Speaker 1:

that something embarrassing kind of happened i heard you guys bumped into some people you knew

01:36:57 - 01:37:08 | Speaker 2:

yeah more than new um yeah we we ran in uh to my mom um and and her new boyfriend uh that we're

01:37:08 - 01:37:15 | Speaker 1:

out on a date and um yeah did you not know that they were going to be at the same place as you or was that planned?

01:37:15 - 01:37:32 | Speaker 2:

No, not planned at all. Goodness, not planned. Super duper not planned. Especially considering my mom obviously had gone out much earlier than we had and been indulging quite a bit. She was a little buzzed. She was a little overstated.

01:37:33 - 01:37:39 | Speaker 1:

Did you guys at the end of your date, did you guys kiss or go anywhere after that?

01:37:39 - 01:37:58 | Speaker 2:

I mean, we kind of just walked around downtown of where we were eating And we did kiss And so, I mean, I kind of thought it went okay I thought everything went well And that we'd go out again But I haven't heard back from her at all Can't get her to respond

01:37:58 - 01:38:04 | Speaker 1:

All right, well, she responded to us And she's on with us right now Tori, what's happening, Tori? Are you okay with your voice on the radio?

01:38:06 - 01:38:08 | Speaker 3:

Hi, yeah, yeah, I am

01:38:08 - 01:38:10 | Speaker 1:

Hey, say hi to Carson.

01:38:11 - 01:38:12 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Carson.

01:38:12 - 01:38:13 | Unknown:

Hey, Tori.

01:38:14 - 01:38:34 | Speaker 1:

Carson, your phone is kind of like failing a little bit, so don't let it fail so you can actually make nice with Tori here. Go to an area closest to the window or something. Tori, are you purposely not calling Carson back, or what's the story?

01:38:34 - 01:38:57 | Speaker 3:

i'm i guess i would say i'm purposely not yeah um i mean the date with him the date portion of it went really well i think he's a great guy um but you know after the date we ran into his mom and that's when things got a little bit awkward for me and it was just a little too much was it

01:38:57 - 01:39:03 | Speaker 1:

because his mom was maybe a little buzzed sounded like from what he said to us oh definitely not

01:39:03 - 01:39:40 | Speaker 3:

because of that, but she kind of just, like, made some comments to me that just, like, really freaked me out. What did she say? Like what? Well, she said, the first thing she said was be nice to my son or I will hunt you down and murder you. Okay, but obviously you know she's kidding. That's funny. It felt really threatening, actually. And then she went on to say, um, he's a really great lover. Wait, wait, wait.

01:39:40 - 01:39:52 | Speaker 1:

Hold on. Hold on. Is that Carson? Is that your phone, Carson? I think that, hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Oh, no, that's Tori's phone. Tori, your phone is kind of, kind of fuzzy. Scream out what she said.

01:39:53 - 01:39:58 | Speaker 3:

She said, um, that he was a really great lover and I shouldn't let him go.

01:39:59 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 1:

Oh my God.

01:40:00 - 01:40:02 | Speaker 6:

I mean, that's weird, but that's not...

01:40:02 - 01:40:05 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no. That's crossing the line weird, Shannon. Don't defend that.

01:40:07 - 01:40:16 | Speaker 7:

Tori, pick up your phone. We're going to try to call you right back on a better line. See if the line gets better, okay? Hold on. I want to hear more about this. Yeah, I definitely want to hear more. We've got to talk to Carson, though. Carson.

01:40:18 - 01:40:29 | Speaker 5:

All right, well... I mean, this is... I didn't... Maybe I just didn't find it as shocking as she did because I know my mom and how she gets when she drinks.

01:40:29 - 01:40:40 | Speaker 7:

Oh, no. Hold on. It might be our phone system, and that's the reason why it's so bad. Hold on. Hold on. So your mom, when she gets a little beverages in her, she gets a little funny or nutty?

01:40:42 - 01:40:51 | Speaker 5:

Kind of took it as funny, but apparently I didn't realize how Tori took it. I don't think she said murder. I think murder. Well, she said, I would kill you.

01:40:53 - 01:41:00 | Speaker 7:

Right, right, right. That's just a thing. But wait, what about the fact that she said that you're a good lover?

01:41:00 - 01:41:05 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. That one was embarrassing.

01:41:06 - 01:41:35 | Speaker 7:

Hold on one sec. Hold on. I want to see if Tori's line got corrected when we called her back. Oh, no. It's our phone system. All right. We're all going to have to deal with this because this is too good to not pass up. Okay. So Tori's back on with us. Carson's back on with us. And we've got a bad phone line system here. So, Tori What were you more taken back by? Were you more taken back by Be nice to him or I'll kill you Or he's a great lover

01:41:35 - 01:41:43 | Speaker 3:

I would say great lover Was what Was over the top to me Yeah Really freaky

01:41:43 - 01:41:53 | Speaker 1:

I mean, this is a great reality TV show, right? We should send every drunk mom On every first date And record it Don't call me mom

01:41:53 - 01:42:09 | Speaker 7:

By the way, that is amazing. Could you imagine? That's a great new bit. The mom's date update or something like that. Oh, my God. I love that idea. Have mom ask the most inappropriate questions of whoever, the guy or the girl who is ever on the date.

01:42:09 - 01:42:15 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to order a headset right now just so they have a camera. Yes. The mom cam.

01:42:15 - 01:42:23 | Speaker 7:

All right, so knowing that this was not Carson's doing, Tori, you can't give him a second chance?

01:42:25 - 01:42:38 | Speaker 4:

I mean, I would love to, but I just feel like, you know, I'm, like, really seriously dating right now, and I'm looking at, you know, who this person's family is, and she could be my mother-in-law, and I just, I have a red flag to me.

01:42:38 - 01:42:42 | Speaker 6:

But I feel like you do need to give her another chance. I mean, she was not in her right mind.

01:42:43 - 01:42:45 | Speaker 1:

Right. See if she's like that sober. Right.

01:42:45 - 01:42:52 | Speaker 6:

I think we've all said or done things When we've been under the influence That we're like I didn't mean to say that

01:42:52 - 01:42:59 | Speaker 7:

But how would you like that to be your mother-in-law She sounds fun The lover part sounds fun I don't know

01:42:59 - 01:43:08 | Speaker 6:

That question was a little strange But I think she deserves a second chance Before we all judge her Based on the first

01:43:08 - 01:43:17 | Speaker 7:

I've got friends of mine Who married overly protective Mother-in-law guys Where the mother was just like a little crazed

01:43:17 - 01:43:22 | Speaker 6:

She doesn't sound overly protective Well she's giving orange flags They're not quite red

01:43:22 - 01:43:27 | Speaker 7:

So no second date for you guys

01:43:27 - 01:43:33 | Speaker 4:

Come on I mean I'll tell you that I'll do it one more chance

01:43:33 - 01:43:43 | Speaker 7:

At least find out if she's right about the whole lover part That's all you're going to think about Yeah exactly Hold on one second that phone line system is bad

01:43:43 - 01:43:49 | Speaker 6:

And if he's not a good lover, you could go back and report to mom. You were wrong. You were wrong.

01:43:49 - 01:43:51 | Speaker 7:

Chelsea, you sound like you're on a better line. What's going on?

01:43:53 - 01:44:18 | Speaker 2:

I think she should rethink her decision because having a crazy mother-in-law, especially one that drinks sometimes, isn't exactly always a bad thing. She might have said something crazy, but for all she knows, she could be passing up somebody that could be a potential great-grandma, a really good mother-in-law to her and a good mom to her son. I think he's making the wrong decision. I think she should give him another chance. Give him another chance. They could be best friends.

01:44:18 - 01:44:23 | Speaker 1:

Imagine if they get married, too. If she hypes him up like that, she's going to hype her up like that just as much. Exactly.

01:44:24 - 01:44:27 | Speaker 2:

And imagine how she'd treat their children. If she's seriously looking at the date.

01:44:27 - 01:44:32 | Speaker 1:

I don't know if I let her babysit until I see how she's on my health. Does she drink that much?

01:44:33 - 01:44:39 | Speaker 3:

Also, moms of sons don't hype up the girlfriends. They hype up their sons. I got a great.

01:44:39 - 01:44:51 | Speaker 2:

That's true. My mother-in-law is my best friend, and we've been best friends for the last 13 years. You got a unicorn, girl. That never happens. Okay, appreciate it. Value it. I do. I do. That's why I'm calling.

01:44:52 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 7:

I got a great new contest. Instead of six on sex, where we're asking the questions, let's ask the question on a scale of one to ten.

01:45:00 - 01:45:02 | Speaker 2:

How would you rate your son-in-law in bed?

01:45:04 - 01:45:06 | Speaker 7:

Not son-in-law, son. Son.

01:45:06 - 01:45:16 | Speaker 2:

Well, no. No, we do it, though, with couples. We'll do it with couples because it'd be weird. I don't know. Maybe we can do that. Who knows? All right. It's Mojo in the Morning, the second date update.

01:45:17 - 01:45:28 | Speaker 3:

You're home with the phone scams. War of the Roses. And the Dirty on the 30. Mojo in the Morning. This is Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:45:28 - 01:45:31 | Speaker 2:

All right, Shannon, what's going on in the Dirty on the 30s?

01:45:31 - 01:45:54 | Speaker 4:

Well, Gwyneth Paltrow's ski crash trial continued Friday as she took the stand to testify about this incident that took place in Park City, Utah. Again, this was several years ago. Gwen said she initially thought retired optometrist Terry Sanderson, who's at the center of this, slammed directly into the back of her. And she said for a moment she thought it might have been an attempted sexual assault.

01:45:54 - 01:46:01 | Speaker 6:

So, you're going down relatively slowly, and two skis slid in between my skis.

01:46:02 - 01:46:02 | Speaker 5:

That's correct.

01:46:03 - 01:46:07 | Speaker 6:

And all of a sudden, the whole front of a body pressing into my back.

01:46:08 - 01:46:13 | Speaker 5:

That's right. And I didn't know exactly what was happening. It's a very strange thing to happen on the ski slope.

01:46:14 - 01:46:17 | Speaker 6:

I didn't know if it was an intentional assault of a sexual nature.

01:46:18 - 01:46:18 | Speaker 5:

Right.

01:46:18 - 01:46:25 | Speaker 6:

Was he grinding and thrusting or something, or just the noises? What made you think it was a sexual assault?

01:46:26 - 01:46:31 | Speaker 5:

So that was a quick thought that went through my head when I was trying to reconcile what was happening.

01:46:31 - 01:46:41 | Speaker 4:

And even though pressed by the attorney for Dr. Sanderson, who you just heard, Gwen insisted, he ran into her rather than the other way around.

01:46:41 - 01:46:46 | Speaker 6:

Ms. Paltrow, isn't it true that this was an accident that you caused?

01:46:46 - 01:46:47 | Speaker 5:

No, ma'am.

01:46:47 - 01:47:04 | Speaker 6:

Okay. And Ms. Paltrow went on Jimmy Kimmel saying, yes, I am accident-prone. I am always running into things, which is very relevant to this case. How? She's, how? Because we believe that that's exactly what she did, is she ran into things like she always does.

01:47:06 - 01:47:18 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Now, again, this guy is suing Gwyneth Paltrow for an amended $300,000. She is countersuing for just $1. And this guy's attorney was trying real hard to drag Taylor Swift into this mess.

01:47:18 - 01:47:21 | Speaker 6:

But remember me asking you, is it symbolic? And you said, yes, it is.

01:47:22 - 01:47:22 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

01:47:23 - 01:47:30 | Speaker 6:

Okay. And I asked you as well, well, you learned about that through Taylor Swift because she asked for $1 in symbolic damages, right?

01:47:30 - 01:47:35 | Speaker 5:

And I think I said at that point, I have not been familiar with it, but I since am.

01:47:36 - 01:47:46 | Speaker 6:

Now you are. But at the time, a couple years ago in 2020, you didn't know anything about Taylor Swift's $1 symbolic damage lawsuit. The trial is set

01:47:46 - 01:48:04 | Speaker 4:

to resume today. Gwyneth's lawyers may once again call her to the stand as well as some skiing trucks, instructors, medical experts and her two kids who were with her on that family trip. Daniel Radcliffe, going to be a dad. He and his longtime girlfriend Erin Drake are expecting their first child together. It's just so funny to think of Harry Potter as

01:48:04 - 01:48:08 | Speaker 7:

a dad. Yeah, no, it means we're all growing up, but I don't like it.

01:48:08 - 01:48:16 | Speaker 4:

They've kind of kept things on the down know since meeting on the set of his 2013 film How to Kill Your Darlings but they are very much together and in love

01:48:16 - 01:48:19 | Speaker 3:

Keep that baby in the little space under the stairs

01:48:19 - 01:48:24 | Speaker 1:

Hey, this is Daniel Radcliffe and I play Harry Potter and I wake up with Mojo in the morning, which is a very strange thing

01:48:24 - 01:48:55 | Speaker 4:

to say. From Harry Potter to Harry Styles, he was seen very awkwardly making out with model Emily Ratajkowski in Tokyo Mike. That's what it was Ow, ow. That's what it was The pictures are just So uncomfortable to look at But Harry's currently in Japan on tour And you know This is kind of full circle Because back during his One Direction days He actually admitted to having a crush on Emily

01:48:55 - 01:48:58 | Speaker 7:

You have a celebrity crush? Do you? Celebrity crush?

01:48:58 - 01:49:03 | Speaker 1:

Emily Roshkowski from And I love that the internet

01:49:03 - 01:49:18 | Speaker 4:

Somehow dug up a photo From one of Harry's shows Where his ex-girlfriend Olivia Wilde was there in the audience or, like, side stage, whatever, tearing him on, and Emily is standing right next to her, which is just kind of funny now. Mike, it was more...

01:49:18 - 01:49:25 | Speaker 7:

It's so awkward, but Emily's living the dream, man. We gotta hype her up. Yeah, she did it.

01:49:25 - 01:49:28 | Speaker 2:

It's nice to know that somebody like Harry Styles is a bad kisser.

01:49:28 - 01:49:35 | Speaker 7:

It does. It's nice to know he has a flaw, but as somebody who idolizes that man, it did give me the ick a little bit.

01:49:36 - 01:49:38 | Speaker 2:

Just a little bit. But you'd still kiss him, though, right?

01:49:38 - 01:49:42 | Speaker 7:

Oh, a bad kiss from Harry is better than no kiss at all. Yeah. I think you can get it.

01:49:43 - 01:49:51 | Speaker 4:

Some big news for Adele fans. She announced over the weekend that she has extended her Las Vegas residency.

01:49:52 - 01:50:00 | Speaker 1:

As happy as I am in this room, playing to 4,000 people for 34 nights is not enough. And I know that.

01:50:00 - 01:50:28 | Speaker 2:

I know it's not enough So I am coming back I'll be back for a few weeks in June And I'm going to film it And I'm going to release it And then I'll be back from the summer Back in August So not only will she be in Vegas longer But for those who can't afford to Or just didn't get tickets To any of her residency shows You will be able to at least see them On whatever streaming service She releases those on When do those tickets go into? I don't know You're going to try again? I will cry about it When I don't get tickets again Yes, I'm going to try again

01:50:28 - 01:50:38 | Speaker 1:

Megan, Chelsea and I I have a friend, Leah, that's gone, and she said that the theater is so small that no matter where you're sitting, you are the closest you'll be to her probably ever. Oh, really? It looks amazing.

01:50:39 - 01:50:53 | Speaker 2:

The show looks great. It's beautiful. And lastly, a longtime TV morning show anchor for the NBC affiliate in Mississippi is out of a job after she quoted Snoop Dogg on the air. Take a listen.

01:50:54 - 01:51:02 | Speaker 1:

I'm up with. I think that'd be pretty cool. Before we know it, she'd have a Snoop Dogg tattoo on her shoulder. A shizzleman. I'm telling you. Julie, what do you think about that?

01:51:03 - 01:51:04 | Unknown:

Oh. Oh, she says.

01:51:05 - 01:51:07 | Speaker 1:

So we put the bleep in there?

01:51:07 - 01:51:20 | Speaker 2:

We put the bleep in there because that was obviously the reason she was fired. Spokesperson for the station, not really answering questions, just saying they're unable to comment on personal matters. I wonder what Snoop's going to say. She's been in the market forever and ever and lost her job.

01:51:20 - 01:51:27 | Speaker 1:

Snoop will hopefully give her a job somewhere. Yeah, or make a song and use that sample in the song. Yeah, I don't know.

01:51:27 - 01:51:38 | Speaker 2:

So we'll get into that. And we got to do a recap on KP, our producer's big birthday, including who was drunk walking the streets during that. We'll be right back. More Mojo in minutes. Spike. He's classy, sassy, and a bit smart-assy. Another world-famous phones game happens at 9.50 on Mojo in the Morning. Oh, you know what that means. If we only had Mason here, he'd be going, buh, buh, buh, buh, buh, welcome, like something like that. Like, wouldn't he just, welcome to the palace, or something like that. And he always did that fun stuff that he would do as the PA announcer and still does for the Detroit Pistons.

01:54:12 - 01:54:19 | Speaker 2:

Ladies and gentlemen, you're listening to the amazing There it is. Mojo! Yes!

01:54:19 - 01:54:47 | Speaker 1:

Hey, we're going to be at the Pistons game tonight. So it's going to be pretty cool. So we're going to be out there tonight. And they're playing the Milwaukee Bucks, which the Bucks are the favorite to win the NBA championship this year. And the Pistons are the favorite to possibly get the number one pick. What are the Bucks colors so I know what not to wear? Green. Oh, everything I own is green. Green. Like everything you wore to Irish and I own you, don't wear to the game tonight.

01:54:48 - 01:54:48 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

01:54:48 - 01:56:23 | Speaker 1:

Okay. because that's what the Bucs are all about. It's funny is that Lydia has been wanting to do this for a while. She's really a big Pistons fan. our show director here, and so she's been planning this thing for a while, like us to go, and I was so excited to pick this game thinking, okay, the Milwaukee Bucks, they're still trying to work towards the playoffs and a number one seed, and then I looked at the thing. I think they already got the number one seed. Yeah. They're pretty much locked in. Yeah. So is the guy whose name I can't pronounce, the Tempacombe or Janice? Yeah, is he going to be there? Giannis? I think so, right? Is he going to be? So let's hope he's there playing. Lydia says that they're going to feature us on the scoreboard, too. Is that right, Lydia? Come on in, Lydia. Come in. I better shave. This is going to be nice. Yeah, now I've got a fake tan. We're going to be on the kiss cam. The kiss cam. Who likes beer breath? Sit next to me. Yeah, who should we sit next to each other for the kiss cam? Wouldn't it be funny, Spike, you and I next to each other, and we have to kiss each other? I'm all in. I've been looking for an excuse. By the way, that would actually probably get the crowd going crazy, you know, if nobody knows who we are. Sorry, you're saying you're willing. Yeah, I'll be your bear. You tell me. I'll be your bear. Absolutely. You got to kiss like Harry Styles, though. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. So, Lydia, what's the story? So, if you go to the game tonight, look out for us?

01:56:23 - 01:56:31 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, because they're going to put us on the board for their 3-1-3 rep-in moment. So they're going to show a feature of all of us sitting in our seats. We're going to do a cute little wave and smile.

01:56:31 - 01:56:37 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to have to wear my Pistons 313 gear that I got. So that would be cool.

01:56:37 - 01:56:39 | Speaker 2:

I've got to buy something before the game starts. I'm getting something there.

01:56:39 - 01:57:30 | Speaker 1:

Or maybe Lucy has something I can swipe. The Pistons have great stuff. Yeah, their merch is nice. I need a hat. The hoodies and the hats and the t-shirts and jerseys. I'm too fat for a jersey. I couldn't put a jersey on. It would be too tough for me. I don't think that they, if a jersey has to come in more than a double X, then you're probably not supposed to be wearing it. Stop. You wear whatever you want. Yeah. All right. Who would I pay? They'll have to, like, pull out Rick Mahorn's old jersey because he'd be the only guy big enough to be able to fit into it. But, all right. So, tonight, make sure that you join us. So, real quick, before we do anything else and we have Lydia here in the studio, KP was telling us that you were at her birthday, you know, the concert party that she had over the weekend and you were pretty drunk is that true oh my gosh

01:57:30 - 01:57:38 | Speaker 2:

i was rocked like when i say rocked i mean i had nine vodka cranberries and nine wow i would be in

01:57:38 - 01:57:44 | Speaker 1:

i would be in the hospital michigan's medicine hospital for that and so before i start i did

01:57:44 - 01:59:16 | Speaker 2:

not throw up so i don't i don't want to be the one known as that but i was um street walking so we started off at Detroit street walking but this is why this is why because we started off at Detroit Shipping Company and I drove my car there and afterwards I had about four drinks there then we walked to the Masonic Temple because that's where the concert was and I had thought okay I'm done drinking I want to sober up because we were going to be there for about four or five hours and then I was like if I wasn't feeling good enough I was going to call my mom or my little guy friend to come get me well as soon as we got there of course what did we do we stopped at the bar first and uh kp's friend patrick was he was encouraging me he was like go ahead buy two buy three like do what you want and was it patrick buying those oh patrick didn't buy them he was just encouraging oh sorry patrick i'm not gonna give you the credit for that he did offer he did offer but i declined he doesn't sound like patrick he normally does uh all the buying he's a great guy um so then I was probably about what like four or five more drinks in and the concert hadn't even started yet and KP was drunk too I think it was the both of us that got the most drunk because we were just pacing back and forth in our own aisle like jumping on top of people saying hi I was making friends with the guys behind me um they were talking about how they've listened to a couple of our sister stations and then they realized me and KP were from the show so they were fangirling a little bit and we were so excited to meet them too and um it got to the point where i had to text my mom and uh gas station guy and tell them i was a

01:59:16 - 01:59:32 | Speaker 1:

little bit too drunk so your mom and gas station guy is this guy that you're talking about that you've been kind of like on and off again dating uh yes and you had to have them come and do like the come get my car one person and come get me yep we the show didn't even start yet um and then so

01:59:32 - 01:59:41 | Speaker 2:

i stepped out for a little bit to just take a breather wait so you didn't even who was it you seen co-wetzel yeah that's right yeah we didn't i didn't see him yet you were that you were that

01:59:41 - 01:59:48 | Speaker 1:

drunk you had to already pre-plan your way home so that you can get home yeah well um he started

01:59:48 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 2:

to come on and i took a step out in the hallway and i saw kp's friends were texting us and they were like where's lydia like in the group chat and i and they were like lydia are you okay and i'm like yes and then probably about five minutes later gas station guy

02:00:00 - 02:00:15 | Speaker 5:

pulled up with his friend to go take me home like to drive my car to take me home to my mom and then my mom had to drive him home but before that happened I was walking down the street in front of the Masonic Temple literally pacing back and forth trying to find the car and he couldn't

02:00:15 - 02:00:19 | Speaker 1:

even keep up with me he was like doing you oh you couldn't remember where you parked the car

02:00:19 - 02:00:35 | Speaker 5:

no I knew where I parked the car but I I was trying to walk there but he had already caught me in time oh okay you were looking for him yeah I was looking for him but I was walking in the dark in downtown detroit as if like i was pretty crowded around no oh boy the show had started

02:00:35 - 02:01:03 | Speaker 4:

so the street was vacant this this whole situation makes me laugh because the day before i texted everyone individually do you have driving arrangements do you need a place to stay because i am not going to be in the mindset to help you if there's an issue yeah little do i know lydia is scaling masonic temple and i am inside of this like literally just like people are i woke up to text messages in the group chat saying KP is gone and Lydia is nowhere in sight. Wait, so who is

02:01:03 - 02:01:21 | Speaker 1:

more gone though? Oh, I don't know. Like who was responsible for you on your birthday? Everybody was responsible for me. So you were getting, so some people from the thing were driving you, that were driving you. And Lydia, you drove yourself because you live on opposite ends of the world probably from where the rest of these people live, right?

02:01:21 - 02:01:35 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, and I'm always the one that's like, yeah, I'll hold my own so everyone can be safe with me and i had told ppm like i can be the dd you know if anyone needs me i'm glad she didn't wow what a turn i'm glad now i like you said at the beginning of this

02:01:35 - 02:01:41 | Speaker 2:

conversation i i was gonna have to call my little guy friend to uh rescue me does he like being

02:01:41 - 02:01:49 | Speaker 5:

called your little guy friend i don't i don't really know what he minds but at this point if we're not in a committed relationship he's just a friend can i be honest with you though yes there

02:01:49 - 02:01:58 | Speaker 1:

Come on. No, no, no, no. I'm sticking up for him. Because this guy drove all the way to downtown Detroit to go pick your ass up. Yeah. That's commitment right there. He cares for you.

02:01:58 - 02:02:05 | Speaker 3:

Sure. That is commitment. So then just why doesn't he say to her, I am committed to you. Guess what? I can be your boyfriend. You can be my girlfriend.

02:02:05 - 02:02:07 | Speaker 1:

He gets a couple more months out of that deal.

02:02:07 - 02:02:07 | Unknown:

No.

02:02:08 - 02:02:09 | Speaker 5:

He's already had years.

02:02:09 - 02:02:11 | Speaker 1:

No, no, no. He's got years. Absolutely.

02:02:12 - 02:02:14 | Speaker 5:

He is walking on a thin line right now.

02:02:14 - 02:02:17 | Speaker 1:

Lydia, I'm going to tell you, if you drink at the game tonight, you're on your own.

02:02:17 - 02:02:20 | Speaker 2:

I'll be your little guy friend

02:02:20 - 02:02:26 | Speaker 1:

So wait a second So you never saw the concert You never got to see your first country concert

02:02:26 - 02:02:30 | Speaker 5:

Well I watched the opening acts Which counts for something

02:02:30 - 02:02:33 | Speaker 4:

What an amateur The opening act was pretty good

02:02:33 - 02:02:36 | Speaker 5:

I don't know but it was good

02:02:36 - 02:02:37 | Speaker 4:

Something Cadillac

02:02:37 - 02:02:40 | Speaker 1:

In that country

02:02:40 - 02:02:48 | Speaker 5:

And you know what I think everyone around me Was looking at me like I was a foreigner Which I am I was the only Chaldean girl in the crowd

02:02:48 - 02:02:52 | Speaker 4:

You made friends with my friend Dan who's a Chaldean Oh Dan is half Chaldean

02:02:52 - 02:03:03 | Speaker 5:

Typically not like country music Is that a thing They're like yeah I love Luke Bryan It's like the basics It's not a Cole Wetzel like KP Yeah that's deep

02:03:03 - 02:03:11 | Speaker 2:

I don't know what either of you guys are saying right now I feel like you're saying artists but I don't know They're into country like Lydia's into drinking It's not

02:03:11 - 02:03:15 | Speaker 3:

02:03:15 - 02:03:20 | Speaker 5:

I didn't wake up with a hangover I'm like I can do this every week

02:03:20 - 02:03:25 | Speaker 1:

so your little friend who was the guy that he brought with to help him out

02:03:25 - 02:03:26 | Speaker 5:

he brought his friend Joe

02:03:26 - 02:03:29 | Speaker 1:

so we gotta thank Joe too for also helping

02:03:29 - 02:03:33 | Speaker 5:

we will thank Joe and solely Joe wow

02:03:33 - 02:03:38 | Speaker 1:

so what did you guys do so you got did you get in the car with Joe or did you get in the car with

02:03:38 - 02:04:08 | Speaker 5:

Joe picked up gas station guy and they drove to masonic temple flagged me down as i'm pacing the street um and then i got in joe's car joe took us to detroit shipping co and so gas station guy had to drive my car back home yeah to where my mom had to then drive us back to gas station guy's house and then had to drive me back home and my mom was like what is wrong with you she was she was your mom's a saint but she was mad at you she was she was she was like are you tired are you drunk you can usually hold your liquor lydia That was like what she was saying.

02:04:08 - 02:04:11 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but nine, though? You can hold nine?

02:04:11 - 02:04:12 | Speaker 5:

I held nine. I did a pretty good job.

02:04:12 - 02:04:16 | Speaker 2:

Did you hold it, or you were wandering the streets of Detroit alone and drunk?

02:04:18 - 02:04:21 | Speaker 1:

Wow. So you never got a chance, KP. She never got a chance to see the country concert.

02:04:22 - 02:04:36 | Speaker 4:

It was so good. My favorite part was looking back at all the people that I had invited and seeing them mingling with people they'd never met before and actually enjoying themselves. It's fun. I feel like that is a huge win when you have a bunch of strangers who are meeting up together and having a good time.

02:04:36 - 02:04:39 | Speaker 1:

Did you guys have an entire row? Because you had 12 tickets, right?

02:04:39 - 02:04:41 | Speaker 4:

We did have an entire row.

02:04:41 - 02:04:47 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. It was so fun. Were you guys, like, were people pointing you out and stuff because you guys were all together? Or did they know you were all together?

02:04:47 - 02:04:51 | Speaker 4:

No, I don't think they realized we were all together. I think at one point I made it to the pit, not going to lie.

02:04:52 - 02:05:18 | Speaker 2:

Can I call Sean from the stage? Because Mojo and I made a special phone call to the record. Did you really? Did he not dedicate a song to you? No, he did not, unfortunately. Oh, my gosh. I was going to say KP's friends are ride or die because they were a little bit drunk, too. But the whole time they're screaming, my friend is famous. Oh, God, no. No, my friend Scott knows that makes me so annoyed. I hate that. And he always he'll go up to people and be like, did you know that she's from Mojo in the morning? Oh, God, no. Cool.

02:05:18 - 02:05:38 | Speaker 1:

Quick question for you. When you're with 12 total people on a night, I assume it's like a bachelorette party. Do you guys stop off at like Lovers Lane and buy little like penises and things like that? You know how they always have little decorative things that they all Did you guys all wear the same thing? Matching cowboy hats Did you have like a tiara or something like that that you wore?

02:05:38 - 02:05:48 | Speaker 2:

No, I didn't But a lot of my non-country friends came wearing flannels And I feel like that's a telltale thing If you're wearing a flannel, a cowboy hat, or cowboy boots You are not a country fan That's a rookie move

02:05:48 - 02:06:42 | Speaker 1:

Almost as bad as drinking nine vodka cans And wandering into your car Mojo in the morning show Usually it's the person that the party is for that's the drunkest. Yeah. You never really see the friends that are the ones that are the drunkest. All right. Coming up here in just a little bit, we've got another chance for you to go see Taylor Swift. We'll be doing that coming up at 930, right before Shannon does the dirty. And today, by the way, is the day that the first lawsuits go into effect for the Taylor Swift ticket debacle. Shannon will talk about that coming up in the Dirty. Plus, a phone scam is on the way this hour. Mojo in the Morning. Megan, you thought that you were getting robbed. Wait a second. You thought somebody actually tapped in and got your Amazon account?

02:06:42 - 02:07:30 | Speaker 3:

Yes. And I would love if you played tap, tap, tap that. well uh we were talking about this but i literally uh had my heart drop into my stomach this weekend when i got like a push notification on my phone for a charge on my amazon account and immediately um i was like what is this and somebody uh had purchased the 1992 romance drama starring George Strait rated 41% on Rotten Tomatoes, pure country. And I was like, that is not anything I would watch. That is not anything I would purchase. I've been hacked. And you know how sometimes when people hack you, they try like one small purchase before they do a big one. This was like a $5 purchase. I was like, oh my God.

02:07:30 - 02:07:35 | Speaker 1:

Did you have to go and look up on IMDb who was in this movie because you didn't know in this movie?

02:07:35 - 02:07:46 | Speaker 3:

George Strait and then a whole bunch of people you've never heard of and you will never hear of again because, shockingly enough, this pure country movie from 1992 did not make their career.

02:07:46 - 02:07:47 | Speaker 1:

No Oscars, huh?

02:07:48 - 02:08:44 | Speaker 3:

None, which I think some people would say they were robbed. And those people would be delusional, okay? Because they were not. But I literally go into my Amazon account. I freeze everything. I change all of my passwords. And then I realize, hmm, I'm not the only person who uses this account. My father had decided that this weekend was the weekend to be in his feelings and watch George Strait's Pure Country Romance. That's so random. He told me that he ran out of Western, so he thought a movie starring a country artist might be pretty close to that. And let me tell you, my brother and I immediately started watching that movie, and it is the worst thing ever made. And my dad would not shut up about how it was a really great movie, and he loves anything with a happy ending, and at the end, guy gets the girl.

02:08:45 - 02:08:49 | Speaker 1:

Spoiler alert, right? He's just going to watch that this weekend.

02:08:49 - 02:08:52 | Speaker 3:

The movie is terrible, and we watch it as a great movie.

02:08:53 - 02:09:26 | Speaker 1:

Here's the trailer. Warner Brothers presents George Strait in his motion picture debut. He had gone farther than he had ever thought and felt more alone than he could ever have imagined. I think I'm just going to take me a little walk. So he set out to find the kind of love.

02:09:26 - 02:09:31 | Speaker 2:

Did he say where he was going? I'm pretty worried about them You follow the roots You'll find it

02:09:31 - 02:09:32 | Speaker 1:

Oh my god

02:09:32 - 02:09:36 | Speaker 2:

You know what I used to play in here years ago

02:09:36 - 02:09:47 | Speaker 1:

This is when a non-actor gets a movie Because they're so big I bet there was a good soundtrack with it too This is basically every J-Lo movie

02:09:47 - 02:09:55 | Speaker 2:

When Megan started telling the story

02:09:55 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 1:

I immediately thought she was just high and ordered something and didn't really

02:10:00 - 02:10:23 | Speaker 3:

Realize it. This is interesting that your dad wanted to be alone with this movie. First person probably to order it in Amazon in the last seven months. You're quite a talented man, Mr. Wyatt. All right, don't tell me the whole story. Is there any listeners that they look at the movies that their family members, they share stuff with, and they go, how are these people in my family?

02:10:24 - 02:10:41 | Speaker 5:

Oh, 100%. I don't know who my dad thinks he is, but he thinks he's a country boy. He was born and raised in Detroit and has never lived in the country. He's never, like, even gotten six feet within an animal. He doesn't like animals, but he thinks he's a rancher country boy. I don't know what is wrong with my dad.

02:10:41 - 02:10:45 | Speaker 3:

I love your dad. What's up? What's up, Curtis? How you doing?

02:10:45 - 02:11:00 | Speaker 2:

Hey, what's up, Mojo? I wanted to let Megan know that on the Amazon Fire Stick, if you don't turn off that feature, you can actually buy items through your Amazon Fire Stick, and it will pop up on your Amazon account. So you have to turn that.

02:11:00 - 02:11:04 | Speaker 3:

Wait a second. So when Megan buys something a little naughty, her dad can see what she's buying?

02:11:06 - 02:11:08 | Speaker 2:

Yes, yes. It will pop up and send you an email.

02:11:08 - 02:11:15 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I found that out when I bought 50 Shades of Grey and it was on everybody's homepage for four days.

02:11:15 - 02:11:24 | Speaker 3:

Wow. Yeah, but that also means not only your Fire Stick will show up that, but it will also show purchases too, Curtis?

02:11:25 - 02:11:27 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Yes, yes, it will.

02:11:27 - 02:11:31 | Speaker 3:

So, Megan, you ever purchase anything a little naughty?

02:11:31 - 02:11:50 | Speaker 5:

No, because I'm terrified of stuff like this. I have to go in person to the stores where they judge me in person because I know if I buy it online, first of all, I don't check my mail. My brother's probably going to open it, and my dad's going to see the notification. My life is very difficult, and you should all feel very bad for me.

02:11:50 - 02:11:59 | Speaker 3:

Curtis, I just watched this trailer for this movie, and it could be one of the worst movies ever. and every text message is saying, Megan, shut up. Pure Country is a great movie. Oh, my God.

02:11:59 - 02:12:05 | Speaker 1:

The soundtrack is the best. Highly recommend this movie. It's one of my favorites. Megan, shut your dirty mouth. Pure Country is excellent.

02:12:06 - 02:12:10 | Speaker 4:

I believe the soundtrack is good. That's what I believe. I believe the rest of it is garbage.

02:12:10 - 02:12:19 | Speaker 5:

My girlfriend, Andrea, was like, how dare you? I cross my heart. That song is the best. I was like, what is wrong with all you people? This movie is garbage. Hot garbage.

02:12:19 - 02:12:36 | Speaker 3:

George Strait is the goat is the latest one that just came through for us here. How about your dad? Wait, let me ask you. Curtis, what would be more embarrassing? Megan's dad seeing her naughty purchases or if Megan's dad starts watching naughty movies?

02:12:36 - 02:12:41 | Speaker 2:

Oh, God. Maybe the dad watching naughty movies. Yes.

02:12:42 - 02:12:49 | Speaker 3:

That would be an interesting one, wouldn't it? Yes, it would be. I would love that. Thank you for the call, buddy. I appreciate you so much.

02:12:49 - 02:12:50 | Speaker 2:

All right, no problem. Have a good one.

02:12:51 - 02:12:52 | Speaker 3:

All right, take care of yourself.

02:12:53 - 02:12:55 | Speaker 4:

Megan, lover of everybody.

02:12:55 - 02:12:56 | Speaker 5:

I hate men.

02:12:56 - 02:12:58 | Speaker 4:

She loves all people, all shapes and sizes.

02:12:58 - 02:13:02 | Speaker 5:

That's the biggest thing right now is that I am just the biggest man hater in the world.

02:13:02 - 02:13:05 | Speaker 4:

How's her day? Just ask her. She'll tell you.

02:13:05 - 02:13:11 | Speaker 5:

There is a pube on the toilet seat. No. I mean, men are disgusting.

02:13:11 - 02:13:20 | Speaker 4:

Megan Mick, a.k.a. Miss Sunshine, from Mojo in the Morning. Check out our Facebook page. Facebook. Facebook.com slash Mojo in the Morning.

02:13:22 - 02:13:52 | Unknown:

We'll be right back.

02:13:52 - 02:14:00 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning Show. So, is this a friend of yours? Mm-hmm. Yep. Was this a recent date, or when was this?

02:14:00 - 02:14:16 | Speaker 1:

Well, it was recent dates. And my question is, is there somebody, if you're not in a relationship already, is there somebody that you have always dreamed of dating? Like, that you have been wanting to... Scarlett Johansson. Okay. Yeah, the list is long. Well, like reality. Reality, yeah.

02:14:17 - 02:14:20 | Speaker 3:

My wife. You think I'm going to answer that question in reality?

02:14:20 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 1:

I said if you're not in a relationship. Oh, okay. So one of my guy friends has had a crush on the same girl since they both graduated from college. They met in college, but they never dated. They ended up working at the same place, like their first big boy, big girl jobs right out of college. And he has just been in love with her. Never had the guts to tell her in college. And then even moving forward, like as the years went by, it never worked out in terms of timing. And I mean like when one of them was not in a relationship, the other one was. And they went back and forth with that for a while. He ended up getting married. He's now divorced. She just went through a divorce and finalized her divorce.

02:15:00 - 02:15:54 | Speaker 3:

divorce at the end of last year. So with both of them being single, he finally worked up the nerve to ask the love of his life out. And in his head, I mean, he kind of knew her, right? They knew each other at college. They worked together. But he had built this girl up to be his absolute soulmate. He's been waiting for this for like more than a decade. Well, they started going out. They went out on a couple of dates and he has very quickly realized they are not compatible at all and he is so devastated because he's like i have waited for this for so long and he's like i thought this was it like i thought we would go out on a couple of dates and both of us would realize like you know like in he always says to me like this is this is my hallmark story and it was just they are opposite ends of the spectrum. Did you say that

02:15:54 - 02:15:58 | Speaker 1:

she also felt the same way too or she not? Well, I don't

02:15:58 - 02:16:16 | Speaker 3:

think that she felt the same way in terms of he has dreamed about dating her for years and years and years since they were both in college. I don't know that she ever admitted that to him and I don't even know if he admitted it to her but he finally worked up the balls to ask her out and he's like, she is not

02:16:16 - 02:16:57 | Speaker 1:

who I thought she was. Well, you were telling that story. It's interesting because I bet you that that that happens a lot more than people probably even would even admit but when you're telling that story i wondered do you think that his obsession with her might have led to the failure of his past relationships because he was always you said thinking of her maybe and would that have been kind of his like maybe like did he find out that she was split up from uh you know her guy or divorced or whatever, that that caused him to be more likely or willing to want to leave his relationship? That's a good question to ask him.

02:16:57 - 02:17:37 | Speaker 3:

That's actually very interesting because he has been divorced for a few years now and he has just had like a very tumultuous dating situation since then. And this girl was married the whole time. So I don't know if in his head he was constantly comparing every other girl that he went out with to, you know, the Jesus of girlfriends. like if he had this who he had built this girl up to be i don't know what was so bad about her did you ask he didn't get specific i'm trying to find his text um he didn't get specific but he's just so bummed he's so upset about it um did did you didn't you have when you were when

02:17:37 - 02:17:45 | Speaker 1:

you got divorced didn't you have people that came to you and were like i remember when you were single i thought there was one guy that called and said something like there was no there was

02:17:45 - 02:18:08 | Speaker 3:

somebody that i went to high school with that reached out to me on instagram and said i have always had a crush on you would you be interested in going out this is your time i didn't even i don't think i responded wow so rude but you know how you can read an instagram message but it not so that you i think i did that i think i did that um i hope i did that i i think i have

02:18:08 - 02:18:54 | Speaker 1:

shoot i think i have heard more and more and i mentioned this a week or so ago that i'm hearing more people that are getting divorced and now dating and then marrying people they went to school with that they grew up with. And I told the story last week about, you know, Jeff and Joan, two people that I went to school with, Obradovich, the Obradovichs, and how those guys ended up having that, where they both ended up, you know, in relationships, got divorced, and now they're married and they got this happy relationship together. But I'm hearing more and more of that stuff. But it's interesting that this guy thought that this was going to be the love of his life, and she turned out to be the dud of his life because she wasn't what he thought. See that? You cannot judge a book by its cover.

02:18:55 - 02:18:56 | Speaker 2:

I know.

02:18:56 - 02:19:00 | Speaker 1:

Guys and gals. What's up, Juliana?

02:19:00 - 02:19:27 | Speaker 2:

Hi. Hi. So my boyfriend now, he for years tried to slide in the DMs. I never gave him the time of day, and so one day I was like, you know what, this could be the love of my life, you know, who knows, and now we're together, we've been together for four years, and we've been madly in love ever since our first date, and it all worked out, so all those times he's lit in the pants and I ignored him, I regret it now.

02:19:28 - 02:19:34 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so was there anything about him, though, that was kind of like, eh, I'm not into it once you finally got to know him?

02:19:34 - 02:19:43 | Speaker 2:

So, not really We have so much in common We're like the same person Just different genders

02:19:43 - 02:19:50 | Speaker 1:

Really? Is that a good thing? Do you really need to be the same person? That's good To be the same person?

02:19:52 - 02:20:00 | Speaker 2:

I think so, yeah I mean, there's a few things that He doesn't get, like cleaning And stuff, but like everything else

02:20:00 - 02:20:36 | Speaker 5:

we're the same exact person and we're like i think we're perfect for each other we don't fight we don't argue nothing really bad happens did you were you ever tempted while you were in another relationship to to get with him so no not really i always thought he wasn't my type and um i just you know i i actually dated his best friend at one point and um it didn't work out it was a very short relationship and then years later he was just like you know still sliding in the dm's trying to shoot a shot so mike brought up something he was going to bring

02:20:36 - 02:20:49 | Speaker 3:

it up and uh it was you said you'd never fight is that you how how new in the relationship are you guys we've been together almost four years wow and you've never fought in four years i mean

02:20:49 - 02:21:16 | Speaker 5:

we fought trust me we fought but we don't fight um we we nitpick at each other okay like we we joke we crack jokes about each other like we don't really fight or give each other like a tone we more um go about things like in a funny way like make fun of each other for not being able to clean up right or something like that and just laugh about it and then move on because of i i

02:21:16 - 02:21:24 | Speaker 3:

Mike brings up an interesting point. If you don't fight, that makes... I always wonder about that, people that don't have arguments. But I know couples that say that they never fight.

02:21:24 - 02:21:34 | Speaker 2:

But I feel like you have to at some point. Otherwise, it could be wrong. Otherwise, the big one's coming. Yeah, yeah. And the rest of that's just passive-aggressive behavior that's going to lead up to that.

02:21:34 - 02:21:44 | Speaker 1:

I hate fighting, but I think that a lot, like, I've noticed with Wes and I, if we have a disagreement about something, like, you always grow from that. That's why I don't understand couples who say they don't fight. I'm like, but how do you grow?

02:21:45 - 02:21:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. How do you guys have makeup sex if you never fight?

02:21:48 - 02:21:49 | Speaker 1:

And that, too.

02:21:49 - 02:21:56 | Speaker 3:

That's usually the best kind. What's up, Jay? Is it Jack or Jake? Jake. Jake. Hi, Jake.

02:21:57 - 02:22:40 | Speaker 4:

Hi. So I just want to say I love you guys. I've listened to you ever since I lived up north and came back down here. Love you guys. Thank you. So my fiance that I actually, and she's my fiance now, I met her one time, and I was like, man, I love her eyes. There was something about her eyes that I loved And it was just like, yep, she's going to be the one I'm going for And it actually took Four years of just hanging out With her on her birthday For her to finally say, oh, okay We can try something out And then I realized She loves to wear the pants in the relationship And I was just like Well, this is something we're going to have to get over, honey And it's worked out And now we're still together

02:22:40 - 02:22:43 | Speaker 3:

What do you mean by that? I'm wearing the pants in that relationship

02:22:44 - 02:23:04 | Speaker 4:

Like, in what way? It came down to, like, I had my phone bills I had to pay, and she's like, no, I'm paying the bills. I'm doing this. I'm like, oh, okay. And we got kids, and I'm like, honey, do you want to go work? No. I'm staying home with the kids. You're going to go work. Okay, that's what we're doing.

02:23:05 - 02:23:11 | Speaker 3:

By the way, I don't know if that necessarily is wear the pants in the relationship. She sounds like she's just a fun person to be around.

02:23:12 - 02:23:18 | Speaker 4:

Oh, let me tell you, she is. And don't make her mad at a bar. She'll get at you.

02:23:18 - 02:23:26 | Speaker 3:

You're really. Honestly, dude, I'm afraid for you. What you've described of her so far, it sounds to me like you better sleep with one eye open.

02:23:27 - 02:23:41 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so it just fits far, right? So my uncle knew what my birthday present was going to be. And I said, hey, you know, it's guy code. What am I getting for my birthday? And he said, Jake, you know I'm more scared of her than I am you.

02:23:41 - 02:23:49 | Speaker 3:

Call twice if you need help Listen, when she finds out You called us and said all this stuff You're going to be punished

02:23:49 - 02:23:53 | Speaker 4:

Oh no, it's going to be a fun time when I get home

02:23:53 - 02:23:58 | Speaker 3:

I bet it is God bless you Call us tomorrow and tell us how things went

02:23:58 - 02:24:02 | Speaker 2:

A wellness check Call every day please

02:24:02 - 02:24:15 | Speaker 3:

At first I thought we were going to come down On the guy when he said that Wearing the pants in the van And now I'm realizing that That it was nothing to do with wearing the pants And it was like she's pretty rough What's up Kelly

02:24:15 - 02:24:36 | Speaker 6:

Hey I just wanted to call in And make a comment So about going back To your high school sweetheart or someone that you knew So after 20 years Of being apart we went to high school together And junior high together He got married, had two kids, got divorced And then started messaging me on Facebook And we've been married for 10 years Ever since

02:24:36 - 02:24:46 | Speaker 3:

wow that's wild and so this is somebody you went to high school with you guys you know crushed on each other back then and now you guys blended your families together

02:24:46 - 02:24:50 | Speaker 6:

yeah he swears that he talked to me in high school we had the same circle of friends but

02:24:50 - 02:25:00 | Speaker 3:

i swear he never spoke to me you got to go to your reunion don't you because everybody needs to see that you guys are finally together correct correct and everybody loves

02:25:00 - 02:25:05 | Speaker 5:

that everybody from high school was there for the wedding and they all loved it. What high school? Anchor Bay.

02:25:06 - 02:25:28 | Speaker 3:

Anchor Bay. That's a close-knit community there, too. I will say this to you, that I went to an all-guys Catholic school, but the girls that were down the street from us at the all-girls school, we had our group that was that way, crushes and stuff like that, and about four people that I went to school with got married to the girls that they were dating in high school.

02:25:28 - 02:25:28 | Speaker 6:

Four?

02:25:29 - 02:25:45 | Speaker 3:

Four. Yes. Four of them still to this day, still married. And, you know, it's wild because, you know, you'll keep in touch with them and you'll be like, man, did you guys ever want to, like, you know, try something else? Like, I mean, but they've been together since high school.

02:25:45 - 02:25:50 | Speaker 5:

I really should have tried to find a husband in college. I feel like once you get out of college.

02:25:51 - 02:25:51 | Speaker 3:

Really?

02:25:51 - 02:25:53 | Speaker 5:

You're screwed. Yeah.

02:25:53 - 02:25:55 | Speaker 3:

Why don't you just go back to school and take a class?

02:25:56 - 02:26:19 | Speaker 5:

Because I literally, so last week I was speaking at the University of Toledo in one of the classes. And I looked around and I said, y'all are in college? And they're like, uh-huh. They look like babies. Babies. Every once in a while I'll see what is clearly a 15-and-a-half-year-old driving around with their temps. And I'm like, get out. Get in the backseat and get in a car seat. Get out.

02:26:19 - 02:26:25 | Speaker 1:

What are you doing? But what about one of those adult education night classes? You can find your future sugar daddy in it.

02:26:25 - 02:26:26 | Speaker 3:

Date a professor.

02:26:27 - 02:26:31 | Speaker 5:

That I would do. I have a weird teacher complex. I would love that.

02:26:33 - 02:26:37 | Speaker 3:

Date the professor that wears that same sport jacket all the time.

02:26:37 - 02:26:38 | Speaker 1:

With the leather elbow patches.

02:26:39 - 02:26:42 | Speaker 5:

Did you guys ever watch this show called You on Netflix?

02:26:46 - 02:26:50 | Speaker 3:

It's been a busy Monday with the Dirty on the 30. What do you got, Shannon?

02:26:50 - 02:27:07 | Speaker 4:

Well, Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik are sparking dating rumors after they were seen having dinner together in New York City. Not just having dinner together, and I don't know if this is true, because obviously I wasn't there. But the hostess who seated them say they came into the restaurant holding hands, and they were smooching throughout the night.

02:27:07 - 02:27:13 | Speaker 3:

What was the last one, though, the guy that she was tied to that turned out to be, like, all not true?

02:27:14 - 02:27:16 | Speaker 5:

Diplo? No, no, no.

02:27:16 - 02:27:19 | Speaker 3:

There was one recently that we talked about.

02:27:19 - 02:27:21 | Speaker 5:

Chainsmokers. Oh, yes.

02:27:21 - 02:27:44 | Speaker 4:

That's exactly who it was. Yeah. So this was interesting to me because apparently they were seated at a table right in the middle of the restaurant where everybody who was in the restaurant could see them. And they were, you know, packing on the PDA. So either it's a PR thing or it's a real thing and they just didn't care. Selena is one of only 18 people Zane fellows on Instagram.

02:27:44 - 02:27:50 | Speaker 5:

That's always a big telltale sign. She looks great, by the way. Wait, who's Gigi Hadid friends with? The Kardashians? or Taylor Swift?

02:27:51 - 02:27:55 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I don't know. Is she dipping in the same pool

02:27:55 - 02:27:57 | Speaker 5:

as her friend group, or is this the

02:27:57 - 02:28:14 | Speaker 4:

enemy's lovers? Yeah. Let's do some research. Let's do some research. Speaking of Taylor Swift, a big group of Swifties heading to court today for that class action lawsuit accusing Ticketmaster's parent company of misleading them and overcharging them for tickets and that whole debacle.

02:28:15 - 02:28:49 | Speaker 6:

Ticketmaster's parent company, Live Nation, saying earlier this year We apologize to Ms. Swift. We need to do better, and we will do better. But that's not all. Drake fans filing a separate lawsuit against Ticketmaster in Canada for alleged price-fixing there, claiming the company knew the Canadian artist would perform two concerts in Montreal but kept that quiet to boost demand. Experts say the underlying problem, Ticketmaster's monopoly on the market, controlling 70% of the industry.

02:28:49 - 02:29:02 | Speaker 2:

The monopoly issues have been going on for years and years and years and years. There's no one who even comes close to Ticketmaster's strength, its reach, its muscle, its ability to sell the volume of tickets that it has to.

02:29:02 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, hoping to have an update for you on this story and tomorrow's dirty. Reese Witherspoon and her husband of 11 years, Jim Toth, announcing they are divorcing. The reason I'm told, no more romance, no more spark. A source telling me, don't expect to hear any sort of scandal or cheating drama or anything like that. It's just two people who essentially became co-parents, roommates, don't have any romantic feelings for each other anymore. I'm also hearing he's going through a midlife crisis, and that was not helping things there. BB Rexha uploaded an image to Twitter on Friday night, sewing what appeared to be toilet paper next to a letter she got in the mail. But it was used toilet paper. The letter was shipped from Miami And it's caused quite the stir among BB's fans Somebody was like Why don't you sniff it And see if it really is what you think it is And she actually responded WTF, no way I wouldn't respond out

02:30:00 - 02:30:37 | Speaker 1:

just like yeah she said she's never received a package like this nothing as strange as this she said this was absolutely insane and another fan pointing out that by the way mailing biological waste is illegal so if somebody gets busted for this they're actually in a ton of trouble um megan you were just talking about you i don't know if you saw this you starring pen bagley as creepy joe goldberg will return for a fifth and final season on netflix we just got that news. Actually, for Netflix, that's really impressive to get five seasons. Five seasons, yeah. I stopped watching in the middle of the third season.

02:30:37 - 02:30:39 | Speaker 3:

I heard the third season was kind of lame, but it was.

02:30:39 - 02:31:04 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so it got me. I had to stop, yeah. Can I tell you, season four has been an interesting twist. Oh, yeah? It is not the same as the previous three seasons. I like it. Maybe I'll keep trying. Also, ABC has renewed Grey's Anatomy for its 20th season, so that show will now be television's longest running medical drama Mainstay Ellen Pompeo Expected to continue as producer on the show And at least guest star

02:31:04 - 02:31:11 | Speaker 3:

I'd like to know how many ailments They've had to redo Because they've had that show run in for so long

02:31:11 - 02:31:18 | Speaker 2:

So going back to you Did you say third seasons on Netflix Are very rare Or are they just always bad

02:31:18 - 02:31:21 | Speaker 1:

They just are going through a fifth season

02:31:21 - 02:31:46 | Speaker 2:

Because I just started the third season of Mandalorian On Disney and I'm not impressed at all I heard it's bad I'm just losing interest completely and it was so good in the first season. I feel like Disney Plus just kind of fizzled. Garbage, not worth the price. Yeah, amen. I mean, they have all the Star Wars, all the Simpsons, all the National Geographic, all the Disney and Pixar. So once you get through all the catalog, if you have kids, obviously it's awesome.

02:31:46 - 02:31:50 | Speaker 1:

But if you're an adult, yeah, it's always on in our house.

02:31:50 - 02:31:54 | Speaker 2:

But if you are an adult, I don't know how much new material they're giving you.

02:31:54 - 02:32:21 | Speaker 3:

All I wanted was Lizzie McGuire as a 30-year-old woman for 30-year-old women. My gift to my sister for her birthday Was an Apple TV And then I bought her her Apple TV And she is Obsessed with Ted Lasso She's been watching Ted Lasso Did you like it? Yeah The first one was the end But the second one where he kind of makes a reference Towards Harry Styles Well I don't want to spoil it

02:32:21 - 02:32:23 | Speaker 2:

Bringing real life into the show

02:32:23 - 02:32:28 | Speaker 3:

I thought the first season was fantastic I loved the first season of that show

02:32:28 - 02:32:29 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but I just started the third season.

02:32:30 - 02:32:36 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you're talking about the third season. Yeah, third season is great. Spoiler alert, Michael. I didn't spoil anything. You'll know when you know.

02:32:37 - 02:33:18 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, the iHeartRadio Music Awards are happening tonight. This is like an all-star cast of performers, people being honored. Lotto, Kelly Clarkson, Coldplay, Keith Urban Pink going to be performing. Actually, Pink's taking home a special award. Taylor Swift is being honored with a special award. Artists with multiple nominations this year include Bad Bunny, Beyonce, Drake, Bieber, Lizzo, Steve Lacey, MGK, BTS, Brianna, Doja, The Weeknd, Selena Gomez. And hosted by? It's going to be big four-time Grammy champ Lenny Kravitz. Going to be hosting this year.

02:33:18 - 02:33:21 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that means our buddy Paul's going to be there, right? Aren't they friends?

02:33:21 - 02:33:44 | Speaker 3:

Lenny, yeah. Lenny Kravitz and Paul and, you know. Is our building going to get done soon? Does anybody know if our building is going to get done anytime soon? Are we moving? I'm telling you. I'm so glad I didn't sell my house to move downtown to be closer to this building that has been five years in the making. But I'll watch the show.

02:33:44 - 02:33:47 | Speaker 1:

It's going to be live on Fox, by the way, at 8 o'clock.

02:33:47 - 02:33:48 | Speaker 2:

What were we saying about Lenny Kravitz?

02:33:48 - 02:33:50 | Speaker 1:

Didn't he design a whole bunch of hotels in downtown Detroit?

02:33:50 - 02:34:03 | Speaker 2:

Well, supposedly. He's a partner on one hotel that's also behind in, you know. Can he do our space? Well, that'd be nice one. I believe it's the same building, architect, same, what do you call it, landlord.

02:34:04 - 02:34:06 | Speaker 3:

We're going to Christos.

02:34:06 - 02:34:07 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I just saw him the other day.

02:34:07 - 02:34:13 | Speaker 3:

Christos, when are we moving in this building? Will you tell me for sure, please? I want to know.

02:34:13 - 02:34:17 | Speaker 2:

Mojo will go shirtless like Lenny Kravitz if you take our building first.

02:34:17 - 02:34:22 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to be putting more miles on a car, so I'm going to have to call Gordon Chevrolet and have to purchase a car instead of leasing a car now.

02:34:23 - 02:34:27 | Speaker 1:

Hey, for all of today's Dirty, check out that Dirty page on mojothemorning.com.

02:35:00 - 02:35:17 | Speaker 4:

phone scam it's mojo in the morning phone scams hello hey how you doing this is phil from is this howie this is howard yes howard oh you don't hear

02:35:17 - 02:35:22 | Speaker 3:

a lot of howards nowadays uh okay now what can i do for you well we got a little problem with

02:35:22 - 02:35:48 | Speaker 4:

your vacation the arrangements that we made uh for your honeymoon uh changed just the slightest spit so i want to make sure you're up to speed uh i've been doing marcia right and i do apologize you have to hear from me but marcia is no longer with our company so i'm going over all her accounts and that's where i just realized this horrible error and um you're you're getting married this weekend is that right yes good oh great congratulations and and all breeze the

02:35:48 - 02:35:54 | Speaker 3:

bride how's she doing you guys nervous what's going on with my travel arrangements oh i don't

02:35:54 - 02:36:21 | Speaker 4:

know why marcia did this i'm looking at this and realizing there's no direct flights i think she she had you a connection here i can't find it but now i'm gonna got you going detroit to new york and then you're gonna connect down and we'll get you to jamaica like within eight or nine hours there there shouldn't be any connection right well that's the problem yeah we just because we're booking your flight so late we can't get any direct flights so but we're not we're not

02:36:21 - 02:36:27 | Speaker 3:

booking the flight late i booked this six months ago yeah you didn't though that's why i was saying

02:36:27 - 02:36:31 | Speaker 4:

i don't know if you heard me about marcia she messed this up she no longer works with the

02:36:31 - 02:36:41 | Speaker 3:

company but she never she never actually i shouldn't be held responsible for that i took care of my end six months ago you took my money six months ago yeah she did and i do apologize

02:36:41 - 02:37:46 | Speaker 4:

when she when you booked the whole vacation through us the one thing she didn't do was book your flights and that's why i'm trying to resolve that now so i got you detroit to new york new york a rally and then just a quick stop in nashville and then boom you're off to jamaica no that's that's two connections yeah well to get you there same day you have absolutely nothing well if you don't like nashville how about i got this one it's detroit to jamaica through seattle that's farther i'm here to solve your problems how about we do this you're going detroit to atlanta and then a jump to dallas where you get on a plane to the islands i need it to be a direct flight right but it's less than two weeks' notice now. It's just not possible to get a direct flight. I'm not responsible for that. I told you, Marcia doesn't work here anymore. We caught her embezzling. So you can understand we got problems, too. Okay, here's the fix. How about this one? Detroit the rally over to Denver, or we can have you stay the night and rally. Then you don't have an extra connection. You just go Detroit the rally, spend the night, leave in the morning for Jamaica. How is that a fix? That's the worst one yet.

02:37:47 - 02:37:47 | Speaker 3:

That's an overnight.

02:37:47 - 02:37:57 | Speaker 4:

Well, yeah, but then this is the great thing. You guys don't have as many connections, and then you leave at 8.30, and Aubrey would leave at noon. You're both at the bar by happy hour.

02:37:57 - 02:38:05 | Speaker 3:

Dude, you took my money. You didn't work out my flight. This is not on me. I will sue you if this doesn't get any better.

02:38:05 - 02:38:08 | Speaker 4:

Well, I got you down to a three-city stop, and you're not happy with that.

02:38:09 - 02:38:17 | Speaker 3:

I don't care if you have to book a private plane. We had better be on that island the day that we were supposed to be there.

02:38:18 - 02:38:36 | Speaker 4:

You want to hear about our cruises? No. Howie, I need you to calm down. Howard. Howard, I respect you, and that's why I have one final offer for you. How about I tell you that you've just been the victim of a Mojo in the Morning phone scam, and you're on the radio with us right now?

02:38:37 - 02:38:39 | Speaker 3:

Oh, s***. I can't believe I saw for that.

02:38:42 - 02:38:46 | Speaker 4:

Aubrey told us all you had to do was plan the honeymoon, so we had to mess with you.

02:38:47 - 02:38:51 | Speaker 3:

Okay, well, it's fair for her to be a little scared, I guess. Should she be nervous?

02:38:51 - 02:38:55 | Speaker 4:

Did you do a good job planning? I mean, good. I'm going to go check now.

02:38:58 - 02:39:02 | Speaker 3:

We will, we will scam you.

02:39:05 - 02:39:09 | Speaker 1:

You're home with the phone scams. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:39:09 - 02:40:00 | Speaker 2:

Mojo on the Morning Show Phone number 844 Mojo Live 844-665-6548 The text is 95500 You want to get through to us? You can always call or text I always suggest that If you have something really important That you want to say Text it because if you texted to us, we're more than likely, if it's really good, we're going to call you to put you on the radio. So thank you for listening. So this weekend, hanging out with my sister, one of the things that was interesting that was something I observed was my sister is handicapped, so she has...

02:40:00 - 02:42:14 | Speaker 1:

has a handicap parking pass so she can't uh she can't really get around without a this you know four-legged walker or she's actually been trying to use just a cane every now and again just to go go places and this is my older sister who raised me and i love her so much pat and pat i talk about her on the show you know what the greatest thing is that pat has right that handicap parking pass i so i well some people may come down on me on this thing but she was in the car so this is the thing so i equated to it was like having a friend with a backstage pass because every place that we went to we got to park right up front you know i'd get to go over and help her get out of the car and give her you know her you know her cane and stuff to get in and um i i didn't have to fight for parking it was like the nicest thing ever remember when i was talking about the pregnancy spots or the expected mother spots yes just like that it really is kind of mike and you know what i didn't go anywhere without her and use it no but i made her go with me to everywhere even places she didn't want to go yeah so i said so i had to run so i bought her this apple tv for her birthday and i said to her i go hey listen i gotta get you know a cable over at um uh best buy so i'm like we gotta go to best buy pull up to best buy there's places packed okay the whole strip mall is packed with stuff i had front row parking front right there flash the she's got the thing that hangs from the uh the rearview mirror yeah yeah and so i was like flashing it around showing people you know and i'm like pat you got to come out with me and she's like why i don't want to go in i'm like you got to go with me because if you don't go with me they're gonna think that i'm parking in a handicapped spot and i'm not a handicap even though i do walk kind of funny but i i well i have that you know people make fun of me because i have the horrible flat feet and stuff like that Do you? Oh, yeah. I walk. I have like a leg that kind of is inverted a little bit. So maybe I can get a handicapped parking spot for that. But I found myself literally taking her everywhere with me. We went and we had groceries. We ended up going. Let's see where we go. We went to. Oh, we went to BJ's. Have you guys tried that BJ's Brewhouse or whatever it is? Yes.

02:42:14 - 02:42:16 | Speaker 2:

I really like that place. Yeah.

02:42:16 - 02:42:34 | Speaker 1:

We went to BJ's Brewhouse. Then we went to Best Buy, the Von Mar Mall. Then we went to, God, where was the other place that we went to? Went to, there was this place that was by our house that we used to grow up with, this little place.

02:42:34 - 02:42:38 | Speaker 2:

I love that you were making the rounds with your handicap pass.

02:42:38 - 02:43:12 | Speaker 1:

Well, listen, I'm going to say this. Don't get mad at me because she hasn't legitimately. No, it was very legit, yeah. But I know, thank God she doesn't live here in town. Because if she did, I might want to drive her car. Are there any people that do that? Are there any people that will drive somebody who has a handicap spots or parking their car thinking that you can just go and use any parking spot that you got? I know if you do that on the air, I will chastise you. Off the air, I'll probably go, how do you get away with that? Melissa, are you there?

02:43:13 - 02:43:14 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm here.

02:43:14 - 02:43:15 | Speaker 1:

Hi, what's going on?

02:43:15 - 02:43:58 | Speaker 3:

so i actually broke my ankle in october and had surgery so i have they gave me a three-month temporary pass um for my car but then when i got my boot off in january i asked them to replace like to renew it just you know getting a boot off and having to walk again so then they gave to me for six months at that point so now i have this temporary parking pass for six months and i'm two months out of a walking boot so sometimes i use it still uh-oh i'm supposed to yell at you right now but i know i know it's terrible it's i i don't use it a lot but sometimes like if you go to sam's club and it's super busy it's like yeah but you don't you are the worst you don't

02:43:58 - 02:44:05 | Speaker 1:

ever take the last parking spot like i would never take the last handicap spot oh no no no no no no

02:44:05 - 02:44:06 | Speaker 3:

If there's only one, I won't take it. Yeah.

02:44:06 - 02:44:25 | Speaker 1:

If there's, like, there's some places where there's 10 handy. At the Best Buy, where we were, there were five on one side, five on the other, and then five right behind us. There were 15, and they were all empty except for the one that I parked in. Now, that maybe I could. I'm not convinced, by the way. She said, no, I'd never take the Best Buy.

02:44:25 - 02:44:34 | Speaker 3:

Right. Karma's going to get you. I know. I know. But, you know, that's just what I get. But also, I'll take it.

02:44:35 - 02:44:38 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Mark? What's going on? It's Mojo in the morning.

02:44:40 - 02:44:44 | Speaker 2:

How are you doing, guys? This is probably, I don't know, my fourth time I've called you guys. You guys are great.

02:44:44 - 02:44:46 | Speaker 1:

Really? Not fourth time today.

02:44:47 - 02:44:48 | Speaker 2:

No, not today.

02:44:48 - 02:44:51 | Speaker 1:

No, okay, fourth time ever. All right, well, it's good to have you back. What's going on?

02:44:52 - 02:44:57 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. So, okay, first of all, Mojo, please do not get upset at me. I did not do this, and I did not win it.

02:44:58 - 02:44:58 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

02:44:58 - 02:45:00 | Speaker 2:

All right.

02:45:00 - 02:45:28 | Speaker 4:

All right, my buddy, years ago, we're all the same age, we're all 53. Well, my buddy Randy, we were at a poker game. Just all of us buddies, four of us. We always got together every Saturday. And anyway, so my friend Kevin, he had a handicap sticker, and we were playing between the sheets, this card game, whatever, and he didn't have any money, so he threw in his handicap sticker, and my buddy Randy won it, and he had it for a year.

02:45:28 - 02:45:44 | Speaker 1:

Wait, so your handicapped buddy Didn't get to use his own sticker? No He lost it in a post That's what you get though That's funny So would he ever drive his friend around? Did he ever drive Andy around?

02:45:47 - 02:45:55 | Speaker 3:

He's got a new one He ended up getting a new one But after like four months Yeah, I like that Bet the bet

02:45:55 - 02:46:02 | Speaker 1:

throw throw in your handicap sticker and and you'll be fine uh lily what's up

02:46:02 - 02:46:13 | Speaker 7:

hi mojo i used to take my mom with me forcefully to ou as a freshman so that she could park for me

02:46:13 - 02:46:20 | Speaker 1:

and then my brother would come pick her up oh no that's not that's horrible now terrible

02:46:20 - 02:46:23 | Speaker 2:

i'm gonna step away from you before the lightning strikes

02:46:23 - 02:46:30 | Speaker 1:

yeah that is you know the karma could come back and bite you in the butt like you you know you're

02:46:30 - 02:46:44 | Speaker 2:

never gonna win the lottery well i'd be afraid of getting injured like you know i don't fake a handicap because you don't want to ever get injured and and have a physical problem you all like you don't want to kill off a grandmother in a test because then what happens if grandma actually

02:46:44 - 02:46:53 | Speaker 1:

gets sick yeah that's bad seriously that's bad bad karma what's up amanda hi hi um so

02:46:53 - 02:47:06 | Speaker 6:

My dad actually would use my mom's parking, like the handicapped parking spot, to go to the grocery store without her. She never really went anywhere. He would use her car just to get closer parking spots to wherever he wanted to go that.

02:47:06 - 02:47:12 | Speaker 1:

But he was shopping for a woman who had a handicap, right? So he was doing something nice.

02:47:12 - 02:47:13 | Speaker 2:

I don't know if that counts. No?

02:47:14 - 02:47:19 | Speaker 1:

I keep thinking that this is going to be the thing that I'm going to have to actually appear before the judge for, you know?

02:47:20 - 02:47:22 | Speaker 7:

Do you mean the judge like God? God, yes.

02:47:23 - 02:47:32 | Speaker 1:

I'm more worried about that judge than I am worried about the judge in the circuit courts. What's up, Kaylee? Hi. Hi. Hey, what's going on?

02:47:34 - 02:47:48 | Speaker 5:

So when I was probably like 16 years old, my dad ended up having knee surgery that left him needing a handicap sticker. And I used to take it in my grand marquee, you know, the old people car, and roll up to Zumba. And I go do Zumba for an hour.

02:47:48 - 02:47:55 | Speaker 2:

Did people look at you strange when you were walking into a Zumba class with your gym bag and you parked in that spot?

02:47:56 - 02:48:00 | Speaker 5:

I tried to get early. Oh, my gosh.

02:48:00 - 02:48:21 | Speaker 1:

By the way, that's such an old story that the Grand Marquis and the Zumba were in both of them. Brought back some memories there. All I needed was AHA's Take On Me playing in the background. Sarah. Hi. Hey, Sarah, you used the handicap pass to go to the Magic Kingdom?

02:48:22 - 02:48:29 | Speaker 6:

Yes, Disney. My mom used to invite my grandma to come with us just so we can skip those lines. Oh, yeah. I mean.

02:48:29 - 02:48:37 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. So the only way that your poor handicapped grandma got to go to Disney with you guys was she got to get you guys to skip the line.

02:48:37 - 02:48:40 | Speaker 7:

You used her. You used granny. It's a hack, but it works.

02:48:40 - 02:48:54 | Speaker 1:

I wonder how many people will fake there because, you know, they can't fake like a broken leg or something. They they actually started cracking down on that because they were today. Yeah, because there was it was there was having an issue where they were thinking that.

02:48:54 - 02:49:07 | Speaker 2:

But what if like these guys at the front of the line that work there just hear Graham in the wheelchair like, no, no, I don't want to go on the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Don't make me go on this. Could you imagine?

02:49:07 - 02:49:10 | Speaker 3:

Shut up, granny. Put on your seatbelt.

02:49:10 - 02:49:40 | Speaker 1:

I'm like, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah

02:49:40 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 2:

out to meet with one of the bosses at my girlfriend Meg's company and the next morning he told her hey your boyfriend was pretty cool you know I just assumed you were dating a douchebag and she said why and he said because he was a radio DJ and this is not the first time someone has said this to her like they were surprised that I was actually

02:50:00 - 02:50:17 | Speaker 5:

a nice human being and i thought we must just have the worst reputations uh as like people just think radio people are the biggest douchey and i know i've listened to some pretty douchey guys on the radio but they just think we're gonna be horrible i guess when we walk in the room like

02:50:17 - 02:50:21 | Speaker 4:

how did they expect you to act like what did they expect you to do i don't know they just thought i

02:50:21 - 02:50:29 | Speaker 5:

would i i don't know if it's the cheesy corny factor because you know like when you hear radio sometimes sometimes there's people that sound really fake and they're telling great stories

02:50:29 - 02:50:32 | Speaker 3:

everybody or did they think that you'd be arrogant well that's it and then i'm thinking

02:50:32 - 02:50:56 | Speaker 5:

behind the scenes we've had some big egos work here in the past who yeah who would walk around like don't you know who i am and and kind of act douchey in that way and then there's also the guys that always hit on every girl and like use the job to try and get dates on the request line so i don't know what angle it was they thought they were going to meet but they were really surprised that i actually wasn't an annoying douchebag i just read the other day that there

02:50:56 - 02:51:12 | Speaker 4:

are more women truck drivers than have ever been in the profession forever and they were talking about how that's become a huge deal you know because they were running short on truck drivers so a lot of women decided you know what i can drive i'm gonna drive truck and um you know

02:51:12 - 02:51:33 | Speaker 5:

there's a certain everybody goes truck driver they think rough and gruff but you know there's probably there's probably truck drivers driving with their little toy poodle in the passenger your seat and they like to tap dance on weekends nothing i'm just saying like there's assumptions people have because of their job yeah and i don't know for us it's just a bad reputation i think of

02:51:33 - 02:51:49 | Speaker 3:

radio well people also assume that we get tickets to stuff for free um and they're so surprised when we find out we buy our own tickets for the majority of concerts and also that we will like come and dj a wedding and stuff i always have people ask me i'm like oh i wish i was yeah that cool but i

02:51:49 - 02:51:54 | Speaker 5:

I don't know how people that think we're lying when we tell them I can't give them free tickets. I'm like, we don't get free tickets.

02:51:54 - 02:52:43 | Speaker 4:

Well, I often think that probably people like police officers get judged all the time because of the image that is portrayed sometimes of police officers. Like we had a couple of cop friends of ours that were like, yeah, over the last few months or years, you know, is always bad. But there's like an image that was there. And then there was also a guy that I went to school with that became a high school teacher. And he might have been the dumbest guy. And all I kept thinking to myself was, how did he become? He's teaching the youth of America right now. That would be something. I always think that every teacher has to be smart, right? What's up, John? What's going on? We're talking about how everybody thinks that radio people are a bunch of douchebags.

02:52:44 - 02:52:46 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no. What did he say? I don't know.

02:52:46 - 02:52:47 | Speaker 4:

Oh, he got disconnected.

02:52:47 - 02:52:52 | Speaker 5:

Did he try and make a joke and curse him? I don't know. I really didn't hear what he said. I didn't hear. Did you? Fell flat, whatever.

02:52:52 - 02:52:57 | Speaker 4:

No, I think, honestly, that sounded like he didn't hang up. It sounded like a bad phone line. Yeah. John, call us back.

02:52:57 - 02:53:00 | Speaker 5:

Well, that's true. That's not an assumption. We do have horrible phone lines.

02:53:00 - 02:53:08 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. So when you sat down with him, did you try to be, like, really on your best behavior so you did not come across?

02:53:08 - 02:53:11 | Speaker 5:

Well, I was just myself. Were you? Yeah.

02:53:11 - 02:53:16 | Speaker 4:

Because honestly, I would have acted like even more. I wouldn't have even joked.

02:53:16 - 02:53:24 | Speaker 5:

Meg wouldn't bring me around her coworkers if she knew that I was, you know, because she knows who I am. So if she's going to be embarrassed, she just shouldn't invite me at this point.

02:53:24 - 02:53:33 | Speaker 1:

Mojo's right. Have you ever tried to be like super anti-radio and just very serious? Like, hello, sir. How are you? It is a pleasure to meet you today. I'm very smart.

02:53:33 - 02:53:46 | Speaker 5:

On this show, nobody's guilty of having that fake persona. You know, like we're all just we're just ourselves. Like, what you hear is what you get. There are some people we meet, and we're just like, how are you doing? Hey, everybody. And you're like, what? How do you keep that up?

02:53:47 - 02:53:50 | Speaker 4:

Do you do that when you're in the grocery store? I think radio's gotten away from that, too. I do, too.

02:53:50 - 02:53:53 | Speaker 5:

There's still some guys on the other stations that do that.

02:53:53 - 02:54:04 | Speaker 4:

Maybe the oldies-type stations? Because most of the people that I've met in radio are actually kind of pleasant. Like, actually, I'm like, wow, they're really nice people.

02:54:04 - 02:54:14 | Speaker 5:

I had a guy that did work at my house recently, and he was like, oh, I did work for Arthur P. And I was like, oh, baby! And he goes, yeah, he does that exactly all the time. And I'm like, really?

02:54:14 - 02:54:28 | Speaker 4:

He talks like that? His generation, though, that was a big rock guy here in town. That generation was really like that. Can you imagine it being exhausting? John's back, the guy that we thought, you know, you got disconnected, John?

02:54:29 - 02:54:30 | Speaker 2:

Yes, I did.

02:54:30 - 02:54:31 | Speaker 4:

John, what's going on, buddy?

02:54:32 - 02:54:40 | Speaker 2:

I am an inspector for factories, and I go in different factories all the time. And people think I'm so arrogant because I walk in there and tell them whether parts are good or bad.

02:54:41 - 02:54:45 | Speaker 5:

Oh, so your job is to kind of, they expect you to be tough on them.

02:54:45 - 02:54:46 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:54:47 - 02:54:49 | Speaker 5:

And are they surprised? You're like a nice guy?

02:54:49 - 02:54:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, they are, most of the time. That's wild. Yeah, that's interesting. You know who I always would assume would be kind of like a-holes? The health.

02:55:00 - 02:55:13 | Speaker 1:

inspectors that go to restaurants and things and do their health inspections because my friends who are in the restaurant business say that the health inspectors are always brutal. They look for stuff that's not really even that bad. What?

02:55:13 - 02:55:17 | Speaker 2:

I disagree. Those are people making sure that we don't get sick.

02:55:17 - 02:55:19 | Speaker 1:

You talk to restaurant people.

02:55:19 - 02:55:24 | Speaker 2:

Because they don't follow the rules. If you're mad at the health inspector, clean up your place.

02:55:26 - 02:55:56 | Speaker 1:

Sometimes they get a little carried. I don't know. I'm just saying I would assume that those guys would be like that. Listen, I'm going to say this to you, that I think that there are some times where you go to businesses and you're like, oh, this person is supposed to be really nice to me, like the Secretary of State or the DMV or whatever they call it in other places. But our secretaries, you walk in there and those people all seem angry as hell. They all seem like you have to be an angry person in order to work there.

02:55:56 - 02:56:04 | Speaker 3:

Or have you ever met somebody who's really rough around the edges and you ask them what they do for a living and they're like, I'm a kindergarten teacher. It just doesn't go in my head.

02:56:05 - 02:56:18 | Speaker 1:

A yoga instructor. I'm a yoga instructor. You might need a little zen yoga in your life if you're like that. But no, I think that that's the thing. And the other thing too is you might catch people on a bad day.

02:56:18 - 02:56:23 | Speaker 3:

Absolutely. We all have bad days. We could be hangry.

02:56:23 - 02:56:27 | Speaker 1:

Some of us might have worse than bad days. We might have bad years. What's going on, Sean?

02:56:28 - 02:56:34 | Speaker 4:

Hi, this is Sean from Toledo. How are you guys doing? Good. What do you do for a living? I'm a strip club manager.

02:56:35 - 02:56:37 | Speaker 3:

Oh, so what do people assume about you?

02:56:37 - 02:56:43 | Speaker 4:

Do they all think you sleep with all the dancers? Sleep with all the dancers, some all drugs, it's all bad.

02:56:43 - 02:56:44 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Do you do any of the above?

02:56:45 - 02:56:47 | Speaker 4:

No. No, I don't. Wow.

02:56:48 - 02:56:49 | Speaker 2:

You got a guy that can get his drugs?

02:56:52 - 02:57:02 | Speaker 1:

But I would just assume also, too, that if you're a strip club manager, that you probably, you know, I don't know, take a little side money? Do you take a little side money or do any of that stuff?

02:57:03 - 02:57:05 | Speaker 4:

No, tips are always appreciated, though.

02:57:05 - 02:57:05 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

02:57:05 - 02:57:05 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:57:06 - 02:57:11 | Speaker 1:

Do you go into your kid's school, and when they ask you what you do for a living, do you say I'm a strip club manager?

02:57:12 - 02:57:13 | Speaker 4:

I don't have any kids.

02:57:13 - 02:57:19 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. How about picking up somebody on, you know, Hinge or Bumble?

02:57:20 - 02:57:30 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that's a headache and a half, man. Dating outside this industry is rough. So do you date the dancers? No, not really. Oh, who are you dating then?

02:57:30 - 02:57:32 | Speaker 1:

Would it be recommended to date the dancers?

02:57:32 - 02:57:34 | Speaker 4:

No, no, not if you want to be employed.

02:57:35 - 02:57:37 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, Spike brought up, who do you date?

02:57:39 - 02:57:42 | Speaker 4:

Whoever I can find is okay with the profession, really.

02:57:42 - 02:57:47 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that'd be tough. Let me ask you, who's got a better reputation, radio DJs or strip club managers?

02:57:50 - 02:57:52 | Speaker 4:

I'd say probably radio DJs.

02:57:52 - 02:58:12 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I don't know about that. Down there together in the same place. Right. Somebody just said I'm a garbage truck driver and everybody thinks we're dumb. But, you know, the guy said I was one of the tops in my class. I would think you're not because you probably make a lot of money. Yeah, they do. They're probably paying some bucks to you guys.

02:58:13 - 02:58:16 | Speaker 4:

All right, top trending stories.

02:58:16 - 02:58:42 | Speaker 1:

There's a few stories that just were so tragic over the weekend. And I want to get to that. The tornadoes that swept through Mississippi and Alabama, killing at least 26 people. Heartbreaking accounts about this tornado that was just crushing, including this guy who lost both his parents. And wait till the end of the clip so you can hear about how his parents ended up dying together and what they did.

02:58:42 - 02:59:30 | Speaker 2:

Warriors can't express what I'm feeling. I'm just broken, I don't know. And knowing that my little boy could have been in this if I had picked him up. I'm just trying to stay strong. I got my family here, more family on the way, friends coming. That's all I can do is just rely on them to help me get through it. I just wish I spent a little bit more time with them. Just stay before I left. And I still gotta tell my son that they're gone. But I know that they're in heaven, and I was told that they passed away in each other's hearts.

02:59:30 - 03:00:00 | Speaker 1:

Is that amazing? Very, very sad. These tornadoes just kind of ripping through the south, and actually there's more expected today. Here's a clip that was trending over the weekend of a meteorologist from WTVA Television in Mississippi finding out that this storm was going to be hitting armory which is an area that was a small little town outside you know in mississippi there and realizing how

03:00:00 - 03:00:05 | Speaker 5:

strong it was going to be that he broke into prayer I would say the western few

03:00:05 - 03:00:32 | Speaker 7:

streets and amory we're now less than two minutes away this is a strong life threatening tornado we need to be in our tornado safe place oh man like north side of amory this is coming in oh man dear jesus please help them amen okay so he's gonna track along highway 25

03:00:32 - 03:01:31 | Speaker 5:

wow wow so sad um uh president biden uh is uh sending uh the full effects of the the federal government their federal funding will be and resources will be offered to them and issued an emergency declaration from Mississippi after that storm. Seven people killed in Pennsylvania. Did you hear about that? At a chocolate factory, there was an explosion. R.M. Palmer, a candy company, which operates a large factory in West Reading, it exploded, killing seven people. An investigation is underway right now as to what caused that explosion. The company made seasonal candies for Easter, Christmas, and Halloween and employs more than 850 people. Scary story. A couple of stories that happened over the weekend with some celebrities. Did you guys hear about the arrest of Creed actor Jonathan Majors?

03:01:31 - 03:01:35 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Which one is he? He plays Kane. Oh, he's in Creed, too.

03:01:35 - 03:01:40 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. He's in Creed. He is, what the heck is his name in Creed?

03:01:40 - 03:01:41 | Speaker 6:

I think the character names.

03:01:41 - 03:01:47 | Speaker 5:

The other guy in Creed. Here, I'll play this clip from ABC.

03:01:47 - 03:01:58 | Speaker 1:

they'll probably say who he is. Hold that sign here. Assaulting his girlfriend. Major's attorney claims he's completely innocent and his name will be cleared. Mona Kozar Abdi is here with the latest.

03:01:58 - 03:03:22 | Speaker 2:

Good morning, Mona. Robin, good morning. It seems like in 2023, you can't go anywhere without seeing or hearing about Jonathan Majors. The actor has graced the cover of magazines, has two hit movies in the box office, and even presented an Oscar. But this morning, it's his personal life making headlines. He shot to fame, playing the most convincing villains on the big screen. But this morning, Jonathan Majors is fighting charges in real life following his arrest over an alleged domestic dispute. Police sources telling ABC News the 33-year-old actor called 911 Saturday morning to report his concern about his girlfriend. But when officers arrived to their apartment in Manhattan, Majors' girlfriend said he physically attacked her in the cab ride home. In a criminal complaint, the 30-year-old woman alleged Majors struck her in the face, quote, with an open hand, causing substantial pain and a laceration behind her ear, and that he, quote, put his hand on her neck, causing bruising. Majors was arrested on misdemeanor assault and harassment charges before being released. In exclusive images from Daily email.com. He's seen here leaving court wearing a hat with freedom written over it. The actor's lawyer is fighting those allegations, claiming Majors is, quote, completely innocent, adding that they allegedly have video footage and a witness statement they are presenting to the district

03:03:22 - 03:03:36 | Speaker 3:

attorney that will clear his name. Now, not only does Jonathan Majors have two big movies in the theaters, Creed 3 and the latest Ant-Man sequel, but, of course, he has the Sundance-acclaimed magazine Dream, which means it's being poised for Oscar contention. He also has a big commercial,

03:03:36 - 03:03:40 | Speaker 5:

But the fallout has already begun.

03:03:40 - 03:03:44 | Speaker 2:

The U.S. Army has pulled two ads featuring the star in their latest campaign.

03:03:44 - 03:03:47 | Speaker 3:

The Army made history by overcoming the insurmountable.

03:03:48 - 03:03:58 | Speaker 2:

A spokesperson telling ABC News, quote, while Mr. Majors is innocent until proven guilty, prudence dictates that we pull our ads until the investigation into these allegations is complete.

03:03:58 - 03:04:02 | Speaker 4:

He plays Damien in the Creed movies.

03:04:02 - 03:04:21 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, and that Kane role, too, is about to be a huge recurring role that, like, he's already started becoming that character in the Marvel movies. And he's, like they said, with the Ant-Man movie coming out, and then there's supposed to be a whole spinoff with Kane. This would be huge if he really did this. Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what the video footage is that they said will clear his name.

03:04:21 - 03:04:59 | Speaker 5:

A NFL player, Los Angeles Chargers defensive lineman, Sebastian Joseph Day, accusing the TSA of sexually assaulting him at John Wayne Airport in California. He tweeted, I felt like I was sexually assaulted by the TSA at John Wayne Air. In a tweet, he says, after a gentleman asked me to please stop, or after I told the gentleman to please stop, I felt uncomfortable. He continued to keep grabbing me. The people from the TSA responded back saying that they are doing an investigation this morning. And this isn't the...

03:05:00 - 03:06:19 | Speaker 4:

First time that we have heard about this, there's a couple of other stories, including a trans woman who was at JFK Airport sobbing over the past weekend after TSA agent hit her in the testicles. And the unidentified flyer actually took to social media on that one. The TSA said that they apologized for their experience and said the comments are noted, shared, and investigation is underway for that one. so a couple of uh stories about going through the tsa with some extra grabby people that were working in the tsa uh and have you guys heard about this it's huge with gen z right now it's a bizarre new trend called everything shower and everything shower and everything shower it's the latest obsession where it's a wellness trend where millennials and gen z-ers are actually doing self-care um hashtagging it on tiktok right now with more than 123 million views uh in the everything shower actually includes doing literally head to toe brushing washing scalp treatments deep cleaning conditioning masks all kinds of stuff here's one person that's doing it hair mask

03:06:19 - 03:06:28 | Speaker 1:

face mask scrubbing the bottom of your feet i think the longest i've been in there was Probably two and a half-ish hours.

03:06:29 - 03:06:33 | Speaker 5:

Oh, wait. Two and a half hours. That's not okay.

03:06:33 - 03:06:41 | Speaker 4:

Which, by the way, they say that many are staying in the shower for up to four hours. Oh, wow.

03:06:41 - 03:06:46 | Speaker 2:

I don't want to be a dad here, but you know what? Who's paying the water bill around here? Me.

03:06:46 - 03:06:48 | Speaker 5:

And you know what? Worth it.

03:06:49 - 03:06:54 | Speaker 2:

I mean, could you imagine? Funny they caught a trend, though. Haven't we always had the showers around them?

03:06:54 - 03:07:04 | Speaker 4:

It just has a name now. Yeah. But can you imagine, though, how cold that water must be towards the end? Because there's no hot water heaters in the world that can last that long. Are there?

03:07:04 - 03:07:10 | Speaker 5:

Uh-huh. What? Tankless heater. The one we have down in Kentucky is a tankless one. So any water that comes through gets heated. Really?

03:07:11 - 03:07:15 | Speaker 4:

But does it slow down the water? Doesn't it have to? No? Mm-mm. Oh, my God.

03:07:15 - 03:07:23 | Speaker 2:

I have one in my house, and it's like I have to chase my girls down once in a while to get out of the shower because there's no cold water to remind them they've been in there an hour.

03:07:23 - 03:07:29 | Speaker 4:

That is pretty wild. If I, by the way, was in the shower for that long Chelsea would think I was doing something to myself

03:07:29 - 03:07:31 | Speaker 2:

Or that you were dead You are, that's why it's in everything

03:07:31 - 03:07:40 | Speaker 4:

Or exactly what Shannon said I was dead, fell asleep in the shower I've often wanted to bring a chair with me into the shower Wouldn't that be fun?

03:07:40 - 03:07:51 | Speaker 5:

You need to get one of those fancy showers That's got the chair in it for you I have a shelf for my phone And I also have one of those bath things That you put across for a glass of wine And you can set up an iPad

03:07:51 - 03:07:52 | Speaker 4:

I want it

03:07:52 - 03:07:53 | Speaker 5:
