Good morning, welcome to the Mojo of the Morning Show. more trips to Disney to give away. So your chance to go to Disney world and ride the brand new Tron ride. We have those for you at seven 30 and eight 30. Also this morning, uh, Taylor Swift tickets. We'll have them this hour, six 30 and then also nine 30. Lots of, uh, stuff to talk about today. We'll get into that in just a second. Also Wednesday. Oh, five lies. Tell your mom. It's going to be a good one. So Five Lies Tell Your Mom, a girl is going to call up her mom and say that she got pulled over and is getting arrested because she was on her phone while she was driving to school and then tells the mom that she actually was trying to get the cop to be convinced that she was FaceTiming her mom to find out where she was because she was lost and wait till you hear mom's reaction to this one first off mom is like the ultimate mom she will do anything for her daughter including lie to a police officer and you will hear that very funny five lies tell your mom coming up in just a little bit all right it is mojo in the morning so guys we're getting prepared for a lot of stuff coming up over the course of the next 90 days here on the show you know we got a lot of promotions all the time that we have to plan and pre-plan and all that so yesterday went on a little field trip after the show with um lydia uh the director of our show and

00:05:00 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 1:

Julie, who is one of our account reps, to the place that we're going to be having our Mojo in the Morning Naughty Moms Night Out. I'm so excited. It's coming back. So good. There's been so many Naughty Moms Night Outs that we've done in the past that have been legendary. This one, I think, is going to be just as legendary. And actually, the location that we're having it at is fancy schmancy. I mean, it is nice. So we're having, I mean, I guess I could say we're having it. We're having it at that brand-new hotel called the Daxton Hotel, which is a gorgeous hotel in downtown Birmingham, Michigan. And we're planning the Naughty Moms Night Out, meeting with the people there, and kind of getting an idea of how things are going to get set up, explaining to them the plans for the night and stuff. And I was – I guess I'll say this because you guys laughed so hard when I told this. Remember yesterday I was telling you guys that my battery died on my car, on my Tahoe, so I had to take Chelsea's car into work? Yeah. So I was driving yesterday a 2015 Volkswagen Bug convertible, okay? So if you have ever seen what a Volkswagen Bug looks like, they're little teeny cars, all right? I love that car. It's very cool. If she ever wants to sell it, I'd want it. Oh, she won't. I was trying to get her to sell it. I'm like, sell that car and get something, because I want something that would make me look cool driving in it. I can't even drive as a passenger in that car, because my head sticks out of the top of the thing when the roof is off. I saw you trying to get out of it yesterday. I need the jaws of life from the Farmington Hills Fire Department to get me out of that. Well, you're so tall, and it's so low to the ground, too. It's comical. Yeah, so we're pulling up to the Daxton, and Daxton has a valet there. Obviously, it's a hotel, and it's hard to find parking in Birmingham. It's a downtown area. And so I'm freaking out going I can't valet this car If I get out of this car in front of the valets They will not stop laughing at me I gotta find a parking garage Or hopefully a street parking Whatever So I ended up circling the block a couple of times And I finally found a primo parking spot About, I don't know, 500 feet from there In front of the Chase Bank And so I parked in the parking spot And even when I got out of the car You should have seen me spike I was, like, looking both ways to see if I knew anybody that was walking down the street to make sure they didn't get out of the thing. So I get out of the car, go inside. We have our meeting. And on the way out, we're leaving, and I'm walking down the street there. What is that? Old Woodward, I believe it is. Yeah. And I'm walking down Old Woodward, and there is a – I call her mom. I don't know if she's a mom, but she was getting into a very big SUV, like a GMC Denali or something like that, and had the most unfortunate thing happen to her,

00:07:57 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

her purse, which was like a big old tote baggy type thing, fell out of the car, didn't do a very good job of staying in the car, fell out and everything in her purse scattered all across Old Woodward. So I'm looking at makeup and I'm looking at her wallet and keys and all kinds of stuff, just all over the place. And I run over to go help her, and she says, no, no, no, no, I'm okay, I'm okay. And I go, are you sure? I'll run out and get some of this stuff in traffic. No, no, no, no, no, I'm okay, I'm okay. And I'm like, all right, well, I don't know if she thought I was going to steal something or what was going on. Listen, I'm a guy driving a Volkswagen Bug. You're safe. You're safe. You can think anything you want about me at this particular moment. So I back off a little bit And then I look down on the ground At what looks to be Her electronic boyfriend No way In the car Come on In the purse In the purse She had it in her purse Oh she's a woman on the go She was a woman on the go And don't stop her Because she'll do what she wants to do When she wants to do it Well now I know why she didn't want your help Collecting her things up So I backed off and I got into the car and I'm thinking to myself, I'm like, oh my God. So as I'm pulling out and I'm backing out of this thing. And Chelsea's car, by the way, is a stick shift. Chelsea loves driving stick. I do too. If you know what I mean. If you know what I mean. Thank you. So I'm trying to make sure that I don't conk out as I'm pulling out of there and stuff like that. But also trying to make sure I don't run over this woman or any of her stuff. And I thought to myself, I'm like, oh, my God, that's an interesting thing. I don't know. Are there any women that are listening to the show that carry a vibrator? Can I say that on the show? A vibrator in their purse? Like on a daily basis or just have before? I have.

00:10:00 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 2:

before have you where were you going with it to west's house oh okay well i'm trying to think you have a travel case for that it's like you're a toothbrush yeah some of them do have travel

00:10:10 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 1:

cases well and i know we've gotten calls from listeners before too that uh take their adult toy to work wow that's a that's weird to me well like how do you get especially if you're the the

00:10:23 - 00:10:31 | Speaker 2:

cubicle made of them at work i don't know we talked about the guys that do that uh at work Guys are pigs.

00:10:31 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 1:

They will do it in the car, in the airport, anywhere.

00:10:33 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 2:

And then I was thinking of all the stuff that you carry in your purse. And, Shannon, yesterday or the day before or whatever, you had your toe bag. I saw Shannon walk in with her purse, and there was her wallet with money hanging out of the side of the thing.

00:10:47 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, because the kids go through my purse. I mean, I have somebody's socks in my purse right now. Laffy, laffy, wrappers, gum. What do you need? Typical mom purse. Games.

00:10:57 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 2:

Wow. Look at that. Anything in there that you'd be embarrassed to pull out of that?

00:11:02 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 1:

No, I don't think so.

00:11:05 - 00:11:35 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Anyone listening who carries their love device in their purse and has that in their purse? Or is it in your car? That's another one, too. Like, where do you keep that? Is that in that little center thing that pops up? Or is it in your glove box? I can never find my license and registration and all the rest of that stuff if I get pulled over by a cop. But you know what? You would be able to find it if you put it next to your vibrator.

00:11:35 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 3:

Mom tote bags are like Mary Poppins bag. They fit everything. The stuff that you could pull out of there is.

00:11:40 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 1:

Just gave me an idea because I always keep my license and insurance right in a special little folder. So if I get pulled over, it's right there, easy to pull. If you did pull it out all haphazard And an adult toy fell out and all this stuff Maybe the officer would be too embarrassed And he'd let you go Much like you were watching all this unfold Maybe he would just be like Forget it

00:12:01 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 2:

We talked about that before on the show And there's somebody that actually Said that they had some stuff in their car That was embarrassing Not as embarrassing as that But then they got out of a ticket because of it Christy, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning Good morning, Mojo

00:12:16 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 4:

How are you?

00:12:16 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 2:

You're doing fantastic talking about this lady that I saw yesterday. I felt so bad for her.

00:12:22 - 00:12:32 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, my thought was, you know, it would have been super tragic if you would have ran that thing over because that would have been the ending to her happiness on the go. That is true.

00:12:33 - 00:12:44 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Or could you imagine if I popped the tire on my Volkswagen Bug? Like that would have been – how do you call up AAA or Bell Tire and tell them that you need a new tire and what popped it?

00:12:44 - 00:12:49 | Speaker 4:

You just say, you know, this lady's carrying some dangerous weapons in her purse

00:12:49 - 00:12:53 | Speaker 1:

I bet you TSA sees all this stuff going through

00:12:53 - 00:13:29 | Speaker 4:

Listen, TSA's a whole other story Because I got caught at TSA with something like that in my bag And of course, I'm the person that has to have my whole bag searched So the guy, and I was in the Dominican Republic He looks in there, and I'm trying to tell him Don't open that bag because it's private He doesn't speak a lick of English And he looks me dead in the eyes like Don't touch it because I'm trying to make him stop It was the most embarrassing thing ever He looks in there And then he looks dead at me And he looks back in there and closes the bag And then just moves me on like Christy, why didn't you put it in your check luggage

00:13:29 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 1:

If you were so afraid of them touching it

00:13:31 - 00:13:35 | Speaker 2:

Well, it could have been a delay By the way, it's not

00:13:35 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 4:

I was on a trip with like 400 other people that I work with So everybody that I knew Was around me Oh, no. Oh, my gosh. That's bad.

00:13:45 - 00:13:52 | Speaker 2:

They don't call it Punta Cana. They call it with that Punta Cana. You can actually do whatever you want in that city, right?

00:13:54 - 00:13:55 | Speaker 4:

Maybe. I don't know.

00:13:55 - 00:13:56 | Speaker 2:

Have a great morning.

00:13:56 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 4:

I don't remember much of it. I drank a lot. Well, there you go.

00:13:58 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 2:

Oh, good. Well, that's why it was in her purse. It was packed wrong. What's up, Ashley?

00:14:05 - 00:14:06 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. Good morning.

00:14:07 - 00:14:07 | Speaker 2:

What's going on?

00:14:09 - 00:14:14 | Speaker 3:

So I was just going to comment. I always carry mine with me. Anywhere I go. Really?

00:14:14 - 00:14:18 | Speaker 2:

Tell me. Yes. Tell me. So is it in your purse or is it in your pocket? Where is it?

00:14:19 - 00:14:29 | Speaker 3:

It's usually, I keep it in a bag, but it's in my purse. Okay. You just got to be prepared. When I go into work, I don't carry it with me. It's in my car, but I always have it. What's the reason? Because you never know.

00:14:29 - 00:14:30 | Speaker 2:

Do you use it in your car?

00:14:31 - 00:14:50 | Speaker 3:

Well, you never know. You might. I have before, yeah. Where is the strangest place you've used it? Probably a bar bathroom. Wow. Oh, my gosh. I just couldn't wait until you get home. No, you just can't wait. When you gotta pee, you gotta pee. When you gotta use it, you gotta use it.

00:14:50 - 00:14:56 | Speaker 2:

Hold on, Mike's got something in here. You sound like green eggs and ham. Would you do it in a car? Exactly.

00:14:56 - 00:14:58 | Speaker 3:

But people had to know what you were doing.

00:14:58 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 2:

Do you ever, by the way...

00:15:00 - 00:15:06 | Speaker 8:

Do you ever pull it out during a long traffic light? Because there's a couple of traffic lights by my house that are, like, really long.

00:15:07 - 00:15:21 | Speaker 6:

I've thought about it. Especially Novi traffic is ridiculous. Like, 96 is, like, stop and go all the time. Oh, yeah. Road construction. You haven't done it yet. I won't say I have done it, but maybe, never know.

00:15:21 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 8:

Hey, phones aren't the only device.

00:15:23 - 00:15:24 | Speaker 6:

But you can't charge them in your car.

00:15:24 - 00:15:25 | Speaker 8:

Wait, what's that?

00:15:25 - 00:15:27 | Speaker 6:

You can charge them in your car.

00:15:27 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 8:

Oh, really? They hook up to, like, your phone charger?

00:15:30 - 00:15:35 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, they're USB. Oh, wow. Yeah, they're USB chargeable, so it's always charged, usually.

00:15:35 - 00:15:42 | Speaker 7:

You get a distracted driving ticket just like a phone. If you're swerving and the cop pulls you over and sees what you're doing.

00:15:42 - 00:15:45 | Speaker 8:

They think that you're drunk, but you're drunk with love.

00:15:47 - 00:15:47 | Speaker 6:

Exactly.

00:15:48 - 00:15:50 | Speaker 8:

Thank you for the call. I appreciate it, Ashley.

00:15:50 - 00:15:52 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, love you guys. Have a good morning.

00:15:52 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 8:

We love you, too.

00:15:53 - 00:15:58 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:18:40 - 00:18:43 | Speaker 8:

We'll get you caught up on what's trending in the Dirty on the 30.

00:18:43 - 00:19:34 | Speaker 2:

Celebrities are pitching in to help the victims of the Nashville Elementary School suiting. GoFundMes have been set up for the families of the six people who tragically lost their lives in Monday's suiting, including one for the Kinney family, whose nine-year-old son, William, was one of the three children that was murdered at the Covenant School. The Kinney family, I saw, just received a $2,000 donation from former Bears quarterback Jake Cutler, who currently lives in Nashville. And donations have been pouring in to benefit the Kinney family. Their GoFundMe in particular is already well past its $50,000 goal. I want to play this for you, too. Megan, do you remember Melissa Joan Hart from Sabrina the Teenage Witch? Yeah, Clarissa explains it all. Clarissa explains it all the way back in the day. Well, she released a video yesterday on social media. She actually helped some of the kids at the Covenant School escape as the shooting was unfolding.

00:19:35 - 00:19:56 | Speaker 5:

For those of you that know, I live in Nashville and what's been going on here today. um my kids go to school right next to a school where there was a shooting today and um we moved here from connecticut where we were in a school a little ways down from sandy hook so this is our second experience with a school shooting with our um kids being in close proximity obviously

00:19:56 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 2:

recorded that video on monday posted it yesterday saying it was just

00:20:00 - 00:20:05 | Speaker 5:

too raw to post the day the shooting actually happened luckily we are all okay but my husband

00:20:05 - 00:20:32 | Speaker 4:

and i were on our way to school for conferences and uh we helped a class of kindergartners across a busy highway they were climbing out of the woods they were trying to um escape the shooter situation at their school so we helped all these tiny little little kids cross the road and get their teachers over there and we helped mom reunite with her children i just i don't know what to say anymore. It is just enough is enough. Several updates, by the way, on that story in

00:20:32 - 00:22:23 | Speaker 5:

next hour's dirty for you. Tristan Thompson bought a mansion just three houses down from his ex, Khloe Kardashian. Not only is it very much within walking distance from Khloe's estate in Hidden Hills, California, you can actually see it from her house. So if you're at Tristan's house, you can see Khloe's house. If you're at Khloe's house, you can see Tristan's house. He purchased the $12.5 million, 11,000-square-foot property back in December. And you might remember Kanye West pulling a similar stunt in 2021, buying the property directly across the street from his wife, Kim Kardashian, so that he could be closer to their four kids when it wasn't his time to be spending with them. And attorney for actor Jonathan Majors released a new statement yesterday regarding his arrest over the weekend. Which guy? Is that the Creed guy? Creed and Quantumania, he was, I mean, he's kind of a star in a lot of movies right now, but he was cuffed on charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment stemming from an argument with his girlfriend over the weekend. Cops say she told police that Jonathan attacked her. Well, his lawyer said and continued to say that there is evidence, there is video from inside the vehicle where this happened that will clear him and also some incorrect reporting around the 911 call to the NYPD. Yesterday, his lawyer said to set the record straight, as confirmed by one of the woman's own written statements, disavowing her allegations, it is Mr. Majors who called 911 due to concern for her mental health. Again, he was released from custody Saturday evening. Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval opening up about what he would have changed when it came to his little cheating scandal with his co-star Raquel Levis.

00:22:23 - 00:22:24 | Speaker 6:

What would you have changed, Tom?

00:22:25 - 00:22:31 | Speaker 1:

If you could go back and change everything that happened, would you go back and change it? Hindsight's always 20-20, man.

00:22:31 - 00:22:42 | Speaker 5:

Hindsight's always 20-20. By the way, he's a co-owner of two restaurants with his co-star Tom Schwartz. and Tom Sandoval admitting the drama, yes, has affected his businesses. He said it's been real rough.

00:22:42 - 00:22:46 | Speaker 6:

Oh, really? I would have thought it would be busier. Just people wanted to see what's going on.

00:22:46 - 00:23:08 | Speaker 5:

And lastly, TikTok is being blamed for ruining concerts as viral influencer wannabes scream and shout for artists' attention or really just by doing anything they can to get content for a viral video. YouTuber Tyler Oakley posted on TikTok his account of an audience member Belting out Billie Eilish songs, louder than Billie Eilish.

00:23:08 - 00:23:13 | Speaker 4:

To the person who thinks I can out-sing Billie and ruin all my videos.

00:23:22 - 00:23:23 | Speaker 5:

So annoying.

00:23:33 - 00:23:38 | Speaker 6:

You pay all this money for a concert and you can't hear the artist.

00:23:38 - 00:23:53 | Speaker 5:

Another one I noticed, Matt Healy, who is part of the group in 1975, people will, he'll come out into the audience and people will stick their thumbs in his mouth and then post, Matt Healy was sucking on my thumb tonight.

00:23:53 - 00:23:54 | Speaker 4:

To be fair, he encourages that.

00:23:54 - 00:23:56 | Speaker 5:

He encourages some weird stuff.

00:23:56 - 00:24:08 | Speaker 4:

He's the weird one there. But still, what kills me is the signs. Don't bring a sign to a concert. Don't bring a sign to a concert. There are 50 people behind you that can't see that spent just as much money as you did. You are not more important than everybody else.

00:24:08 - 00:24:11 | Speaker 6:

We've done those sign contests, though, to get people to the front row and stuff.

00:24:11 - 00:24:17 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that drives me nuts. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on MojoInTheMorning.com.

00:24:18 - 00:24:18 | Unknown:

Good morning.

00:24:19 - 00:24:22 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning's dirt. And another phone scam coming up in minutes.

00:24:23 - 00:24:32 | Speaker 6:

All right. We're going to do the senseless survey, and then we'll come back with the five at 655. Don't go anywhere. We'll see if Trav is going to win next.

00:24:34 - 00:24:40 | Speaker 2:

It's time for an official government survey. It's Mojo in the Morning's Senseless Survey.

00:24:43 - 00:24:56 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. It's Bob Dabalina-Con from the U.S. Senseless Bureau, and I just have three questions in the survey. In an effort to encourage our youth, would you agree that kids can be anything they want when they grow up as long as it's not a DJ?

00:24:57 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 1:

I would just encourage them.

00:25:00 - 00:25:02 | Speaker 5:

To stay in school and graduate.

00:25:03 - 00:25:04 | Speaker 1:

Did your last date night end with a bang?

00:25:05 - 00:25:09 | Speaker 5:

I'm married. Oh, perfect. Every date night ends with a bang.

00:25:10 - 00:25:13 | Speaker 1:

If you're not supposed to abuse cough syrup, then why does it come with a little plastic shot glass?

00:25:14 - 00:25:20 | Speaker 5:

I believe if everyone measured their alcohol in the shot glass, we wouldn't have a problem.

00:25:20 - 00:25:22 | Speaker 1:

Is it still a walk of shame if you high-five a stranger?

00:25:24 - 00:25:26 | Speaker 5:

It depends on your location.

00:25:26 - 00:25:29 | Speaker 1:

And when you buy a head of lettuce, do you ever wonder what they do with their bodies?

00:25:30 - 00:25:34 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no. I'm assuming it's in the ground.

00:25:35 - 00:25:37 | Speaker 1:

All right. And would you get a tattoo?

00:25:37 - 00:25:38 | Speaker 5:

No.

00:25:38 - 00:25:39 | Speaker 1:

How about a tat three?

00:25:40 - 00:25:40 | Speaker 5:

Negative.

00:25:41 - 00:25:43 | Speaker 1:

Would you take a free piano, no strings attached?

00:25:43 - 00:25:45 | Speaker 5:

No, I already have a baby grand.

00:25:45 - 00:25:49 | Speaker 1:

And when Jesus returns to Earth, do you think he will endorse the iPhone or the Android?

00:25:50 - 00:25:57 | Speaker 5:

Since I'm a Christian and I'm saved, I won't be here when he returns. And I think there are bigger issues than which he would endorse. I'm sure he'll endorse salvation.

00:25:58 - 00:26:01 | Speaker 1:

Salvation, I'm not familiar with that smartphone. Is that a Verizon phone?

00:26:02 - 00:26:03 | Speaker 5:

No, that's the grace of God.

00:26:04 - 00:26:04 | Speaker 1:

Amen.

00:26:04 - 00:26:06 | Speaker 5:

This is a lot longer than three questions.

00:26:07 - 00:26:11 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I'm sorry. I just thought we had such a good rapport going. It didn't sound like you were too busy.

00:26:12 - 00:26:14 | Speaker 5:

Well, I'm just so happy to hear someone speaking English.

00:26:15 - 00:26:17 | Speaker 1:

Why do protein bars always have to look like feces?

00:26:19 - 00:26:23 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Oh, man. I like that.

00:26:25 - 00:26:35 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. It's kind of true, though. Well, she sounds like she's, I don't know. I think if you kept her going just a little bit more, Spike, you probably would have gotten her to.

00:26:35 - 00:26:37 | Speaker 1:

I don't think I would have been able to keep her going.

00:26:37 - 00:26:37 | Speaker 2:

No, I don't think so.

00:26:39 - 00:26:54 | Speaker 4:

Laugh all you want. We'll get to you eventually. It's another senseless survey on Mojo in the Morning. It's Mojo in the Morning's 5 at 6.55. 5 and 6.55, yo, 5 and 6.55, yo, now.

00:26:54 - 00:27:26 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the Mornings 5 at 6.55. 5, 5, 5, 5.

00:31:49 - 00:32:50 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning. All right. So you want to be on a future five lies to tell your mom? We're going to give you a shot. Here's what we want you to do. We want you to not only text mom to 95500, but after you text mom as the first word, an idea of what you would like to do for the lies. So like, you know, say want to lie to her about, you know, my graduation or lie to her about, you know, getting arrested or lie to her about whatever it is. kind of give us an idea of what's going on in your life right now that might be a believable enough situation so that mom stays on the phone for all five. Because remember, you've got to get her to stay on the phone for all five. Otherwise, you don't win. All right, so text mom and then what your idea would be to 95500. And you could be on a future five lies to tell your mom. Standard text and data rates do apply. It's mojo in the morning.

00:32:50 - 00:32:55 | Speaker 2:

Five lies to tell your mom.

00:32:56 - 00:32:56 | Speaker 1:

Julia?

00:32:58 - 00:32:58 | Speaker 2:

Hello?

00:32:58 - 00:33:00 | Speaker 1:

Are you ready to have some fun?

00:33:00 - 00:33:01 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

00:33:01 - 00:33:04 | Speaker 1:

Five lies to tell your mom. Is she going to get mad?

00:33:06 - 00:33:10 | Speaker 2:

I think she's going to get pretty mad, but it'll be worth it if I can get through all of them.

00:33:10 - 00:33:30 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you get a prize for mom. If you get through all five of the lies that we made up for you, we'll give you a great prize for your mom. All right, cool. Five lies tell your mom. Lie number one, you're going to have to tell your mom. You're going to say, Mom, I just got pulled over. Lie number two.

00:33:30 - 00:33:32 | Speaker 2:

Say the cop saw me on my phone.

00:33:34 - 00:33:39 | Speaker 1:

Oh, God. Lie number three. I was Snapchatting while I was driving.

00:33:41 - 00:33:42 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

00:33:42 - 00:33:44 | Speaker 1:

That's not something you ever do, right?

00:33:45 - 00:33:46 | Unknown:

Right.

00:33:46 - 00:33:54 | Speaker 1:

I don't believe any word you just said. By the way, this is not five lies to tell Mojo. I just want you to know that. All right. Lie number four.

00:33:54 - 00:33:58 | Speaker 2:

I lied and said I was FaceTiming you because I got lost.

00:33:58 - 00:34:03 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Lie number five. They want to take my license away.

00:34:04 - 00:34:05 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

00:34:05 - 00:34:21 | Speaker 1:

Okay. We're going to call your mom, and we're going to dial her up from a number that's kind of a spoof. Okay. So just so you know, if she says anything about the number at all, then she'll believe it more that you got pulled over. okay okay here we go

00:34:21 - 00:34:56 | Speaker 2:

hello hi what's up okay so um i got pulled over and the cop saw me on my phone he took it i know you're what'd you say Did he take your phone? Well, he saw me Snapchatting while I was driving.

00:34:56 - 00:34:58 | Unknown:

Oh, God.

00:35:00 - 00:35:08 | Speaker 3:

So, I told him that I was facetiming you because I was lost. Is he going to call me?

00:35:08 - 00:35:10 | Speaker 2:

Is he going to call me?

00:35:12 - 00:35:49 | Speaker 3:

Um, I don't know. Maybe, but, so I told him I was facetiming you because I was lost, but he wants to take my license away. Mom, your mom. I know, because I have a few, I have, like, two tickets that I never told you about. So he wants to take my license away. He wants to sponsor a license. What did you get it in? What did you say?

00:35:49 - 00:35:53 | Speaker 2:

Are you joking? Are you, are you, are you lying right now?

00:35:55 - 00:36:03 | Speaker 3:

No, I mean, like, I was just, like, Snapchatting. I don't even know how he saw me, but I told him that I was FaceTiming him.

00:36:03 - 00:36:05 | Speaker 2:

Are you in the cop car?

00:36:08 - 00:36:18 | Speaker 3:

Julia, are you in the cop car? I mean, I'm in the back of the cop car, but do you need me to come get you or what?

00:36:21 - 00:36:23 | Speaker 2:

Julia. What?

00:36:24 - 00:36:25 | Speaker 1:

Hey, hello. Is this mom?

00:36:26 - 00:36:27 | Speaker 2:

Do you want me to come get you?

00:36:27 - 00:36:29 | Speaker 1:

Hello, is this Julia's mom?

00:36:29 - 00:36:31 | Speaker 2:

Yes, this is Julia's mom.

00:36:31 - 00:36:33 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Julia's mom. How you doing?

00:36:33 - 00:36:34 | Speaker 2:

Good. How are you?

00:36:34 - 00:36:39 | Speaker 1:

Good. This is the police officer that pulled over your daughter.

00:36:40 - 00:36:41 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

00:36:41 - 00:36:45 | Speaker 1:

Yes. She said that she was FaceTiming you. Is that true?

00:36:45 - 00:36:53 | Speaker 2:

Yes, she was lost. She was lost. Where is she at right now, sir? What city is she in? Is she ****?

00:36:53 - 00:36:55 | Speaker 1:

She's in the back of my police car right now.

00:36:55 - 00:37:01 | Speaker 2:

I understand that, but what city are you in? All right, do I need to come and get her, sir?

00:37:01 - 00:37:13 | Speaker 1:

No, you don't need to come and get her. You just vouched for her that she was actually FaceTiming you because that was what we wanted to make sure is that she was actually FaceTiming you and not doing some kind of social media shenanigans.

00:37:14 - 00:37:16 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't know about the social media shenanigans.

00:37:17 - 00:37:30 | Speaker 1:

No, but she was doing something legit. She said that she was trying to FaceTime you and that you are her mom and that you get lonely if you don't talk to her and that you kind of have some, you know, there's some issues there.

00:37:31 - 00:37:43 | Speaker 2:

I love my daughter, and she's a good kid. She's a great kid. She's an honor student up at Central. We just got her that car. Her birthday's in a couple weeks. She's going to be 21.

00:37:43 - 00:37:43 | Speaker 1:

Oh, man.

00:37:44 - 00:37:45 | Speaker 2:

I'm sick to my stomach.

00:37:45 - 00:37:46 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I'm sure you are.

00:37:46 - 00:37:49 | Speaker 2:

She's a good kid. She's doing an internship.

00:37:49 - 00:37:54 | Speaker 1:

She works two jobs. Yeah. Well, here's what we're going to do. We're going to let her off then.

00:37:54 - 00:37:55 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

00:37:56 - 00:37:57 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, we're going to let her off.

00:37:57 - 00:38:00 | Speaker 2:

Honest to God, sir. I mean, she really is a good kid.

00:38:00 - 00:38:04 | Speaker 1:

She seems like a good kid. She'd never lie. She wouldn't lie about this, right?

00:38:04 - 00:38:09 | Speaker 2:

No. Well, oh, my God. My heart's beating. I'm sick in my stomach.

00:38:09 - 00:38:21 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Well, listen, we're going to do this. We're going to let her off as long as you make a promise. I promise. Promise that you're not going to kill her for having you on Mojo in the Morning's Five Lies to Tell Your Mom.

00:38:22 - 00:38:27 | Speaker 2:

Are you kidding me? Am I on the air?

00:38:27 - 00:38:29 | Speaker 1:

You're on the radio right now, Mom.

00:38:29 - 00:38:38 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Mom. Oh, my God. Julia, I'm going to kill you. Why are you whispering? Oh, my God. Turn me at work.

00:38:41 - 00:38:42 | Speaker 3:

I'm sorry, Mom.

00:38:43 - 00:38:53 | Speaker 1:

Mom, Julia just won a great prize for you. We're going to have a limo come to your house, Pick you up and take you out For an unbelievable night out Including dinner on us

00:38:53 - 00:38:54 | Speaker 2:

It's fabulous

00:38:54 - 00:38:57 | Speaker 1:

00:39:27 - 00:39:28 | Speaker 1:

We love you, Mom.

00:39:28 - 00:39:30 | Speaker 3:

All right, love you, too. Bye-bye.

00:39:30 - 00:39:33 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the Morning. Five to eight. Five to eight.

00:39:34 - 00:39:34 | Unknown:

Sweet.

00:39:35 - 00:40:11 | Speaker 1:

Five lies to tell your mom. We are going more than an hour. Actually, it's like an hour and a half or so commercial free. So we are done with commercials. So happy I peed. Well, you know what? I just did the same. And is this weird? but Spike was in there at the same time. And so we caught up. So he was in a stall. What's new with Spike? Well, we were just having a discussion about, you know, world events and, you know.

00:40:12 - 00:40:17 | Speaker 3:

Stock market, the sporting, the latest sporting events that are coming our way.

00:40:17 - 00:40:23 | Speaker 1:

Yes. The draft, who will the Lions choose? Will they trade down and try to get more picks?

00:40:23 - 00:40:28 | Speaker 3:

A few new birds added onto the endangered species list. Such a long peak. Yeah, it was.

00:40:28 - 00:40:32 | Speaker 1:

Were you duty in there? I was, yeah.

00:40:32 - 00:40:53 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, my schedule's changed to earlier now. The coffee really hits me quick. But more than anything else, I was saying to Mojo, we realized if we don't go now, right after 7, we don't get to go for two hours. Because we're about to do commercial-free for our listeners for so long, and it's affecting our health. We've got to take care of ourselves. Do you ever think we've gotten too close with each other?

00:40:54 - 00:40:54 | Unknown:

Nah.

00:40:55 - 00:40:57 | Speaker 3:

At least we weren't sharing the same stall.

00:40:58 - 00:41:10 | Speaker 1:

Actually, you know what would have been fun? They have stalls next to each other. If I were in one stall and you were in the other, we would have been like a Catholic priest with the confessioner. Put a little window there like a confession.

00:41:10 - 00:41:21 | Speaker 2:

If you think that we are all too close with each other, please listen to yesterday's More Mojo podcast because the questions that were asked among this group are here. About each other's private parts? Yes, we are very close. Yeah.

00:41:21 - 00:41:48 | Speaker 1:

That was actually, it's titled Danny DeVito because of private parts. So, yeah, go check it out. More Mojo podcast. You can get a behind-the-scenes look at what's going on on the show and see what's happening there. Mojo in the morning show, a lot of people get to work from home, and when they get to work from home, they got it a lot better than the people that have to work in the office. They can pretty much do whatever they want to do, right? I mean, they call the shots.

00:41:50 - 00:43:26 | Speaker 3:

What's funny to me is we've kind of changed the entire concept of work over the last few years, obviously. of necessity and health but now remote working is such a lax more interpretive term because people will not take vacations they'll go remote work if you're remote working from home you can remote work from florida on the beach right a lot of times people can it depends if what your job is but i was laughing last night uh my girlfriend is in automotive and so meg was currently you know on her conference call last night and she I was listening to her trying to track down some parts in Dubai and she's like sitting in a big blanket fort on the floor that her son built in the blanket fort while you know talking to an auto plant halfway across the world because she realized she was reading her son a book and then realized it was nine o'clock and she had to connect with her conference call yeah so I was thinking I'm gonna bring this the airwaves now where did you take a call but you hope they would never find out like where some people are was she zooming or was she did she not put her camera on so she just kept the it was a zoom but she keeps the camera off and because there's people across the globe on her calls there's like she'll be talking at the same time to people in detroit people in seattle people in taiwan and then sometimes people in germany or people in dubai or wherever else they need to call so it might be nighttime here morning in china so a lot of the people just leave their cameras off because they might be

00:43:26 - 00:43:50 | Speaker 1:

like getting ready or they might be at home with their kids i always assume when somebody doesn't have their cameras on that they're naked so whenever or they're somewhere they shouldn't be whenever i'm on those things and that's why sometimes when we'll do a team's call i can't turn my phone uh or my camera off because i'm assuming other people are assuming that not that you're in your child's uh you know blanket fort yeah well last the last morning show zoom we had

00:43:50 - 00:44:07 | Speaker 3:

I was driving, so I didn't have the camera on. And then when I finally got home at the end of the call, I turned it on. And then our buddy Dennis was like, where are you? Because I had a palm tree behind me in my living room, and he thought, like, it looked tropical. I was like, no, it's still freezing cold here. I'm just on my couch.

00:44:08 - 00:44:33 | Speaker 1:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Where have you done work from? It's wild that you bring that up about people that will take vacation. because this is like a time when some people are taking their vacation time, but they'll take their vacation and work at the same time. So isn't that stupid? Because now they're doing their vacation and working. They're not really working. They're not really off.

00:44:33 - 00:44:39 | Speaker 2:

Or maybe they're not taking their vacation. They're just working from a nice, warm location.

00:44:39 - 00:44:47 | Speaker 3:

Yes, that's what it is. They're not taking a vacation day. They're just getting away with working while on vacation. And nobody knows they're on vacation.

00:44:47 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Alyssa? How you doing? I'm great. How are you guys? We're good. What's going on? Where have you done work from? I was telling your producer I repainted an entire bathroom.

00:45:00 - 00:45:02 | Speaker 5:

my house in one day was the Zoom calls.

00:45:02 - 00:45:02 | Speaker 1:

Wow.

00:45:03 - 00:45:05 | Speaker 5:

Because I didn't have to participate. I just had to listen.

00:45:06 - 00:45:13 | Speaker 3:

Oh, all right. Well, I feel like that's using, that's wise time management right there. That's what I'm saying. She said she didn't have to participate.

00:45:13 - 00:45:17 | Speaker 2:

She just had to listen. But did you keep the camera off so that they didn't see that you were also doing that?

00:45:17 - 00:45:21 | Speaker 5:

Oh, absolutely. And I got the slide over the thing just in case.

00:45:21 - 00:45:33 | Speaker 2:

You know what's amazing? That if they ask you to come back into work, which I don't know if they have, you will never be able to sit in a conference room ever again, because your ADD will go crazy with not being able to...

00:45:33 - 00:45:41 | Speaker 5:

That's exactly why I did it. I told my husband, I said, the ADHD really kicked in today. Yeah. Thank you for the call. Thanks, guys.

00:45:41 - 00:45:53 | Speaker 2:

Bye. What's up, Bob? Hello? Bob, what's going on? How you doing? We're doing good, man. Now, is this about you or somebody that you work with? This is

00:45:53 - 00:46:04 | Speaker 4:

about me. I'm in the automotive as well. Okay. And so I have evening calls sometimes. And so last summer I did one from my kayak while I was out fishing.

00:46:05 - 00:46:08 | Speaker 2:

That's awesome. Can they hear the splish-plash?

00:46:08 - 00:46:15 | Speaker 4:

You put it on mute, cast it out, answer a few questions, reel it in. That sounds great.

00:46:16 - 00:46:20 | Speaker 2:

What if you get a big one, though, and you're having a hard time reeling it in?

00:46:21 - 00:46:26 | Speaker 4:

Well, then you've just got to be on mute for a little longer. You've got some connection problems.

00:46:26 - 00:46:31 | Speaker 2:

you go see that you got it all pinned down i like that well what happens if they ask you for some

00:46:31 - 00:46:36 | Speaker 3:

data or some information and it's in your laptop and you're like uh-oh like i can't look up these

00:46:36 - 00:46:41 | Speaker 4:

files ah the internet yeah then you're in big trouble but you know you gotta make some excuses

00:46:41 - 00:46:46 | Speaker 2:

do you worry about your kayak ever flipping and causing you to you know have all whatever you're

00:46:46 - 00:46:57 | Speaker 4:

on zoom or you know falling into the water no i figured uh you know maybe i usually wear a shirt with my name on the back in case I go down and at least people want to pull me out of the pond.

00:46:58 - 00:47:02 | Speaker 2:

At least thinking. See you, Bob. What's up, Marina?

00:47:03 - 00:47:04 | Speaker 5:

Hi, how are you guys?

00:47:04 - 00:47:05 | Speaker 2:

Good, what's going on?

00:47:06 - 00:47:37 | Speaker 5:

So I was working, well, from home, but it was last spring break I went to Florida and I was working from the car with my hotspot from my phone so I could have internet and I was in a Zoom call and I was walking around with my laptop and I was going from, you know, the shuttle bus that takes to the airport? Yeah. I was in there like bumping back and forth on this Zoom call with all these people going to the airport and walking through TSA with my Zoom call and no one had any idea that I was at the airport.

00:47:37 - 00:47:47 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's so good. Yeah. There's a lot of times where you'll see people that are on their computers sitting at the gate at an airport.

00:47:47 - 00:47:49 | Speaker 5:

Or they've got their AirPods in. Yeah.

00:47:49 - 00:47:58 | Speaker 2:

And they're doing business. Voice this guy is Dee because she does not want her employer to know what she was doing. What's up, Dee?

00:47:59 - 00:48:48 | Speaker 1:

Hi. It wasn't me. Actually, it was my husband. We actually went on spring break with our daughter a couple weeks ago, and we were in Florida. So he had to take a Zoom call. He works for a company that's based out of Korea. So they had this intranet Zoom call, and our daughter set up the background for him. had on a shirt and i've recently lost weight so i went from like an eight to five looking great got my swimsuit on and my best friend is with me same thing so we decide we're just gonna lay there right so he's on this zone call with the fake screen behind him and we end up laying there and all of a sudden everybody's staring he doesn't know why they're paying attention to him and they hang up the call and one of the guys from michigan calls him back and says hey these He's looking great. He's like, what are you talking about?

00:48:48 - 00:48:49 | Speaker 2:

Uh-oh, man.

00:48:50 - 00:48:54 | Unknown:

And now their new screensaver is him and me and my best friend.

00:48:54 - 00:48:56 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh. That's so funny.

00:48:57 - 00:49:09 | Speaker 3:

So the fake background wasn't working. So now his company is putting that up for all of his Zoom calls. Wait. So they have a good sense of humor, at least, about it.

00:49:09 - 00:49:26 | Speaker 1:

But he's at work today. Today is his first day back in person because he goes in two days a week and he has a phone call and he was getting out of the car because his car is in a shop and he's like, damn, he was losing weight and flams the door and our dog starts barking. I'm like, okay.

00:49:27 - 00:49:37 | Speaker 2:

Dee, I love hearing you screaming on this voice disguiser. I had to turn my head off. Can I pull you off voice disguiser just so I can hear what you sound like without a voice disguiser?

00:49:39 - 00:49:40 | Speaker 3:

Go ahead.

00:49:40 - 00:49:42 | Speaker 2:

All right, all right. They already know who you are.

00:49:42 - 00:49:43 | Speaker 3:

They saw a picture of you in a bathing suit.

00:49:43 - 00:49:56 | Speaker 2:

Dee, are you there? Yes, I'm here. Oh, my God. It doesn't even sound. See, that's how good our voice disguiser is. We're different. I love it. Thanks for the voice disguiser. Oh, my God. That was fantastic.

00:49:56 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 3:

Well, congratulations on the weight loss and the vacation. Whoever works with Dee.

00:50:00 - 00:50:19 | Speaker 6:

husband send us that picture we want to see that picture we love you congratulations too by the way all right uh oh my god that was great that was like what does the voice disguiser do and then you do something like that and i'm like oh a lot yeah uh simon what's happening it's mojo in the

00:50:19 - 00:51:01 | Speaker 5:

00:51:01 - 00:51:11 | Speaker 6:

12 hours do the judge judges like that or do they get upset no no no not at all the judge was not

00:51:11 - 00:51:20 | Speaker 3:

having yeah i would imagine it seems like you're not taking it seriously you don't understand the gravity of the charges or whatever or am i just multitasking i don't try to make it convenient

00:51:20 - 00:51:33 | Speaker 5:

where people are at work we had people always call in while they're at work we had a roofer that called in he was handling his court while he was on the job on someone's roof

00:51:33 - 00:51:40 | Speaker 6:

oh my lord thank you for the call Simon I appreciate it buddy take care of yourself

00:51:40 - 00:51:54 | Speaker 3:

just because someone carries a smart phone does not make them a smart person we're about to prove it another world famous phone scam happens at 7.50 on Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:51:54 - 00:51:57 | Speaker 6:

All right, let's get a look at what's trending right now in the Dirty on the 30.

00:51:57 - 00:52:21 | Speaker 1:

So I want to give you a little bit of an update on what happened at that elementary school in Nashville on Monday. The shooter, who again took the lives of three children and three staff members at the Covenant School Monday morning, had legally purchased seven firearms, although her parents were not aware that there were weapons in their home.

00:52:21 - 00:52:55 | Speaker 2:

We've interviewed the parents of Audrey Hale, and we've determined that Audrey bought seven firearms from five different local gun stores here legally. They were legally purchased. Three of those weapons were used yesterday during this horrific tragedy that happened. we know uh that they felt that she had one weapon uh and that she sold it she was under care

00:52:55 - 00:53:14 | Speaker 1:

doctor's care for an emotional disorder that's nashville police chief john drake now the shooter's parents saw her leave the house with a red bag on monday morning and they asked her what was in the bag she kind of dismissed them they didn't look in the bag because again like you just heard the police chief say it wasn't even in their in their brain that she had any

00:53:14 - 00:53:35 | Speaker 2:

weapons in her possession. We also don't have a motive at this time. We feel that these students that were targeted were randomly targeted. There was not any particular student that they were, that she was looking for at the time of the incident. I wonder if they'll go after the

00:53:35 - 00:53:42 | Speaker 6:

parents like they are doing here in Michigan with the Crumblies. It seems from the, from what I've

00:53:42 - 00:53:54 | Speaker 1:

heard so far that it's a very different situation because they were under the impression that she had only ever purchased one firearm and that firearm was then sold. So they did not even, they were not even aware this was

00:53:54 - 00:54:06 | Speaker 6:

hidden around their home. You live under the roof. I was talking to Chelsea about this. How do you, how do parents not go through their, their kids' rooms? At least I got a teenager at home. Yeah. And I go in the room and, and check it out. But I lived with my dad until

00:54:06 - 00:54:12 | Speaker 7:

I was what, 26? Yeah. 27? I moved back in with him before I bought my house. I don't think he ever went through

00:54:12 - 00:54:24 | Speaker 6:

But if you know that your daughter has an emotional disorder and under the care of doctors and know that things are not right with how she had been acting.

00:54:25 - 00:54:33 | Speaker 7:

But if you invade that privacy and break that trust when it's the last thing maybe that they're holding on to, would it be a hindering?

00:54:33 - 00:54:38 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. Then you have to fall into the terms of they don't know how to control those big emotions. They don't know what they're going through.

00:54:38 - 00:54:54 | Speaker 6:

If I'm worried about my kid and knowing that my kid's got some issues, I'm going to do everything I can, especially in this day and age, of making sure that my child is okay. And honestly, I'm not worried about them hurting other people. I'm probably worried about them hurting themselves.

00:54:54 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 1:

You also have to remember with the crumblies, they gave him that guy. Right, I get it. There were some big differences in the cases.

00:55:00 - 00:55:34 | Speaker 4:

By the way, the shooter had more targets, according to reports, including her own family. And I want to mention this, too, another story in relation to this. The headmaster of the school, Catherine Kuntz, she also lost her life in Monday's massacre. And now we're hearing she headed straight for the shooter before she was gunned down. She was in the middle of a Zoom meeting when gunshots rang out shortly after 10 o'clock in the morning. She immediately jumped into action to help protect her students. And police say because of the way that she was lying when she was found in the hallway, they are certain that there was some sort of confrontation that occurred. I watched

00:55:34 - 00:56:02 | Speaker 5:

parts of that police cam yesterday and those cops are heroes for what they did. I mean, I can't tell you how much I have respect for them. And after seeing what happened in Uvalde where those cops were you know cowards. Filling up their water bottles around the corner. Yeah. And these guys ran in there and they know that it was what seconds, what like 13 seconds or whatever from the moment that they walked in to the moment that they that they were able to take down the shooter.

00:56:03 - 00:57:31 | Speaker 4:

An online detective uncovered a group chat that was eventually submitted as evidence in the Gwyneth Paltrow ski crash trial that's happening right now in Utah. It only took him about two minutes to find it. Gwyneth's attorneys had asked the daughter of the man suing her about some missing GoPro camera footage of the 2016 ski slope collision. The lawyers had called it the most important piece of evidence at the trial. Well, the daughter, and I played you this audio, I believe, last week, said, I don't know where it was. It's somewhere out on the internet. Well, Michael Fletcher, who is a faithful court TV viewer, ordinary guy, found it. Not only did he find it, he then sent what he found to Gwyneth's defense team. He said, it's comical how easy it was to find it. So when he opened the link to the video with his Google account, He also uncovered some messages from a skier who claimed to be the accident's only eyewitness. The messages show that the man suing Gwyneth Paltrow, Dr. Terry Sanderson is his name, knew she crashed into him and then took off. However, in court, this man, remember, says he didn't know that it was Gwyneth Paltrow, the celebrity, that actually struck him. The chat also made it clear that that Gwyneth hit Dr. Sanderson and not the other way around, as she claims yesterday her two children, Apple and Moses, submitted their testimony through a representative to the court.

00:57:31 - 00:57:42 | Speaker 1:

She came in and she immediately I noticed that she looked a bit shocked and I asked what had happened and she said, this ran into me. He ran right into my back.

00:57:42 - 00:57:47 | Speaker 4:

That was testimony submitted from Gwen's daughter, Apple. This is testimony from her son, Moses.

00:57:47 - 00:57:58 | Speaker 2:

I saw my mother and a person behind her. When I skied over, I heard my mom yelling at the guy. She was saying something along the lines of, what the f***? You just ran into me.

00:57:59 - 00:58:17 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, more on that happening today. And lastly, Peter Murrieta, who was the producer and writer of the Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place, said on his podcast that Selena Gomez's character, Alex Russo, was absolutely part of the LGBTQ plus community.

00:58:18 - 00:58:42 | Speaker 6:

What was quite obvious to a lot of us was the relationship between Stevie and Alex. But we weren't able to in that time. But it was pretty clear to all of us what that relationship was. And that would have been fun. But we got as close as we could to... I mean, it was pretty close It was pretty right there It was pretty much right there That would have been brilliant

00:58:42 - 00:58:46 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, he said he wished he could have explored that bond further

00:58:46 - 00:58:48 | Speaker 6:

And then the mouse fired him

00:58:48 - 00:58:56 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, right? He did For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty Pates on MojoInTheMorning.com

And another world famous phone scam happens in minutes

00:59:06 - 00:59:14 | Speaker 5:

it's mojo in the morning show so explain to me again here so you guys give smith your credit

00:59:14 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 4:

cards or well kind of so smith is my five-year-old by the way um and he you know this from my stories about him over the years he loves carrying crap around in his pockets he has little bags that he like he just constantly has all sorts of crap and so my ex-husband and i andrew we will give him uh we add to the crap collection but we like to give him our old like credit cards hotel room keys whatever because he loves playing with that stuff so he has this little collection in his you know little black and white checkered wallet of like old old keys old credit cards that makes him feel like he's an adult the numbers have changed these are expired cards expired cards yeah obviously I'm not giving him a real credit card. Right. Well.

01:00:00 - 01:01:19 | Speaker 6:

yesterday I he he whips something out of his pocket and it was a credit card and I'm looking at it and I realize that the credit card belongs to Andrew's girlfriend and I'm like oh that's sweet like she's caught on and she you know gave him one of her old credit cards to play with or whatever and as I'm looking at it I realize that the expiration date is 2027 oh gee it is still very much a valid credit card and i'm thinking now how in the heck did he get this and has been carrying it around for god only knows how long and andrew's poor girlfriend's probably like where the heck did my credit card go at this point um and so how did he get it turns out that they had gone out to lunch the day before and i think what what i can kind of deduce happened was it got put back on the table after the meal was paid for and he grabbed it from the table and I don't know if she thought that she had grabbed it and put it away in her purse already but he ended up with it so I'm realizing all of this yesterday and I text Andrew to say hey you know Smith's got this card you probably want to come grab it for her and Lucy's like but can we go to target first hello all surprise

01:01:19 - 01:01:20 | Speaker 4:

dolls are getting expensive

01:01:20 - 01:01:27 | Speaker 6:

no we can't thought about it but no

01:01:27 - 01:02:18 | Speaker 7:

we can't when you guys were kids did you ever go through like your mom's wallets or valuables and stuff like that because my kids have done that with Chelsea like Chelsea's purse you know just sits up on you know the the chair that's you know right there by the the door and um the kids would go through and she would always blame me for stuff missing out of there did you take a 20 and i'd be like no i didn't take a 20 yeah and then she'd say you know did you take you know my pack of gum or like mints or whatever the deal is and we found out that i i'm almost positive and i don't want to pin it on it but i think it's luke i think luke was taken yeah so he was taking the stuff and uh one time he took A credit card And the thing was That was interesting With credit cards You gotta like know What you're doing When you're a young kid Like Smith's age With a credit card

01:02:18 - 01:02:20 | Speaker 6:

Yeah but Smith knows You just You tap it

01:02:20 - 01:02:22 | Speaker 7:

Oh well you tap it

01:02:22 - 01:02:23 | Speaker 6:

They make it so easy now

01:02:23 - 01:02:53 | Speaker 7:

But he I don't know if he was Going anywhere Tapping Luke Cause they didn't Think they had Tapping time But I think Luke was Thinking to himself He was gonna go online And I think a lot of it Was video game stuff Like he was gonna go on And he was gonna put The credit card Into the video You know The video game thing And just start doing again By the way I looked this up And I want you to know this that what do you do with old expired cards this is uh this is from uh a site called bank rate it says you should always cut them up because the numbers on the card could still be valid

01:02:53 - 01:02:58 | Speaker 4:

to an account even though they're expired yeah i don't have able or have been able to hold on

01:02:58 - 01:03:05 | Speaker 2:

to a card long enough for it to expire it's so funny i cut them in half rich people problem

01:03:06 - 01:03:07 | Speaker 4:

I lose everything.

01:03:08 - 01:03:21 | Speaker 2:

I cut them in half. One way to split the card in half, and then the other way to cut the strip in half, the magnetic strip. And then they go in two different trash cans so that if someone finds them, they can't piece it back together and get my number.

01:03:21 - 01:03:30 | Speaker 7:

You know, that's smart. That is, like, really, really smart. Yeah, like one goes with the kitchen trash. Do you really? I have a shredder that I bought at Staples, and it's the best. This thing is the best shredder ever.

01:03:30 - 01:03:35 | Speaker 2:

It's hard to shred them now. Well, it's got to be industrial because now they have the chip in them, and it makes it hard to even cut.

01:03:35 - 01:03:44 | Speaker 7:

You know, it's funny. I've looked inside there afterwards, and you can see, like, you can tell, like, where the little pieces are because they're the more rigid pieces that are in there.

01:03:44 - 01:03:53 | Speaker 4:

I literally do this all the time. I accidentally, two weeks ago, had my dad's credit card, and I just straight up went and I bought myself lunch, and then I texted my dad afterwards. Did you believe it? And I said, thanks.

01:03:55 - 01:03:59 | Speaker 7:

Do you, by the way, believe that she was accidentally? What's going on, Lindsay?

01:04:01 - 01:04:02 | Speaker 5:

Hi. How are you this morning?

01:04:03 - 01:04:07 | Speaker 7:

Good. What's going on? We were talking about Shannon's son Smith and the credit card.

01:04:08 - 01:04:32 | Speaker 5:

So when I was little, I used to play house or teacher. And I remember finding my mom's checkbooks under the bed. And I wrote out a bunch of checks. And I went to the neighborhood and put each check in one of the neighbor's mailboxes. Oh, my God. So they ended up calling my mom and letting her know that I had put all these checks out there. Because they were all scribbled all over.

01:04:32 - 01:04:35 | Speaker 6:

You were like your neighborhood Robin Hood

01:04:35 - 01:04:39 | Speaker 5:

Amazing

01:04:39 - 01:04:42 | Speaker 7:

That's funny What's going on Mojo in the Morning Erica

01:04:42 - 01:05:00 | Speaker 1:

Yes So when I was in third grade I had a little boyfriend And he used to always bring me jewelry And I would Eventually I showed my mom I was like yeah I got this And she was like This is real jewelry Come to find out

01:05:00 - 01:05:01 | Speaker 3:

No, he was stealing it from his grandmother.

01:05:01 - 01:05:06 | Speaker 4:

Oh, jeez. Nice. Oh, God. I had at least three necklaces.

01:05:08 - 01:05:10 | Speaker 7:

Do you still have those necklaces?

01:05:11 - 01:05:21 | Speaker 4:

No, I had to give them all away. I know. My mom told the teacher. My mom told the teacher, and they got in contact with his parents. So it was, yeah.

01:05:21 - 01:05:24 | Speaker 7:

So funny. And Nina is a teacher. Hi, Nina.

01:05:25 - 01:05:26 | Speaker 5:

Hi. How are you guys?

01:05:27 - 01:05:28 | Speaker 7:

Good. What's going on?

01:05:28 - 01:06:01 | Speaker 5:

um so i have not gotten rid of credit cards but i i am a teacher and i have received gifts um from students that they obviously pull out their parents credit or purses like credit cards and half used gift cards and i get a hold of these parents and they're like oh yeah Can you send that back home to us? I've gotten candles, credit cards, gift cards, keys, jewelry, all sorts of stuff.

01:06:01 - 01:06:04 | Speaker 1:

I love that they're just taking it from around the house and bringing it in.

01:06:05 - 01:06:10 | Speaker 5:

I think they are, honestly. And they're so funny. They're like, I got this gift special for you. Oh, yeah.

01:06:10 - 01:06:56 | Speaker 7:

I had the biggest crush. And this is probably the thing. It's probably little boys that are bringing it in for you. But I had the biggest crush on this teacher. And she was a young teacher. And I remember all I wanted to do Was give her gifts Because I remember how she looked When my mom gave me a gift To bring in to her for a Christmas present And so I remember that I would do that Exactly what you're talking about I would find things that my sisters had And I remember bringing her a hairbrush So I gave her one of my sisters hairbrushes One that was already used And it had hair in it But I thought it was the most special thing ever And I wrapped it up in a newspaper or whatever it was. Or remember how you used to, the schools, and I don't know if they still do this, would make you wrap or cover your textbooks.

01:06:57 - 01:07:00 | Speaker 1:

And I would always use the Kroger, the brown Kroger bags.

01:07:00 - 01:07:04 | Speaker 7:

Brown bags, exactly. Yeah, it's so funny. What's going on, Krista?

01:07:05 - 01:07:06 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:07:06 - 01:07:07 | Speaker 7:

Hey, how you doing?

01:07:08 - 01:07:09 | Speaker 4:

Good, how are you?

01:07:09 - 01:07:10 | Speaker 7:

Good, what would your son do?

01:07:11 - 01:07:39 | Speaker 4:

So he would go in my, I used to have a phone case that would hold all my debit cards and credit cards and everything and he would go in my phone case and take my debit card or credit cards and go buy vbucks and i would check my like i caught on to it after maybe about the third time and he was doing it like three four times a week oh my gosh how much do you think he spent total um this happened for a good like six months so probably a couple hundred dollars wow

01:07:39 - 01:07:40 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God.

01:07:40 - 01:07:49 | Speaker 4:

Thankfully, I was able to get the PlayStation Network to refund most of it. But then I got a charge from Amazon that he's trying to purchase an $1,800 iPhone.

01:07:50 - 01:08:00 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God. Oops. Can I have his phone number? I'd like to be a friend of your son. Oh, that's wild. You got to watch out.

01:08:00 - 01:08:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, he definitely learned his lesson. He's a teenager now, so he knows better because we threatened him with the police station.

01:08:07 - 01:08:09 | Speaker 7:

Oh, the whole police station threat.

01:08:09 - 01:09:02 | Speaker 2:

yeah that's the good one uh what's going on jacob jacob yeah so uh in elementary school you know you have your little elementary school loves and so i i had this little girl that i was you know she she was my girlfriend in elementary school and my mom she had this whole jewelry box and so i went in there i found one that had a heart and a few you know diamonds on it i didn't know they were real diamonds or anything and so i go to school and i give them to her well a couple weeks later i get sent to the principal's office we go to the principal's office and my mom's sitting there and her parents are sitting there she's sitting there and my mom's like so you got something to give back to me and i was like no and she goes well the principal definitely does and the principal gives back the necklace and lo and behold it was the necklace that my dad had given to my mom at their uh wedding as a gift and uh yeah i definitely got embarrassed on that

01:09:02 - 01:09:47 | Speaker 7:

one but you were such a sweetheart so cute do you have somebody in your life right now jason a special person yeah my fiance juliana uh hide the jewelry from yeah it's the mojo on the morning show your home of the phone scams jason owns a small wildlife uh control company he will trap and relocate critters and he helps people in their homes. Well, Spike is going to request removal of a dangerous wild animal and let's see how long we can keep him on the phone because I guarantee you he's going to get annoyed with what Spike's got going on here. It's a Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

01:09:49 - 01:09:53 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning. Your home of the world's famous phone scams.

01:09:53 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 2:

how can i help hi is

01:10:00 - 01:10:28 | Speaker 1:

Mr. Jason. This is Jason. How are you? I'm good. Well, I used the Googles and I saw your website. You're the pest removal guy? That is I, yes. Hi, this is Christoph with a K and I'm looking at your site on the worldwide internet. So it says here you get rid of skunks? Yes. And you remove raccoons? I do. Do you have a raccoon problem? And you get rid of squirrels too, huh?

01:10:30 - 01:10:32 | Speaker 4:

All sorts of wildlife, we handle it.

01:10:32 - 01:12:04 | Speaker 1:

All right. And it says here on your websites that you can also remove mice and moles. Yes. And you specialize in bats. Congratulations. Which of them do you think you might have a problem with? Well, okay, so I'm up on the Stairmaster watching Judge Judy like I always do first thing in the morning. And when all of a sudden I hear the scratching. And let me tell you something, Mr. Jason. this scratching is loud and bothersome and it's not going away and it's only getting louder so i figure out that it's coming from the ceiling above our gift wrapping room and so i peek my head up into the crawl space and heavens to betsy there he is i'm nose to nose with the little bugger and i can just beat him with a spatula well what what was this well let me just tell you because this is where it gets crazy so i go down to the kitchen because you know i know Bradley just gone shopping and Bradley loves nuts he can't keep his hands off my nuts so I grab the nuts from the cupboard to take upstairs you know and see if I could bait this little critter to leave my house you know sometimes you feel like a nut so well that was a rookie move because the second I opened the door to the crawl space this beast must have smelled my nuts and he comes jumping down to our house so now Bradley and I are chasing it around with a broom and a plunger But I think he ran under a bed and he's hiding. So I need you to come to our house, Mr. Jason, and rid us of this little Tasmanian devil.

01:12:05 - 01:12:06 | Speaker 4:

What was it?

01:12:06 - 01:12:11 | Speaker 1:

A hedgehog. Can you remove it? Are you a party to this? A hedgehog?

01:12:12 - 01:12:14 | Speaker 4:

I don't think it's a hedgehog.

01:12:14 - 01:12:16 | Speaker 1:

Well, you haven't seen it yet, so how do you know?

01:12:17 - 01:12:22 | Speaker 4:

They aren't native to North America. They don't live anywhere in this country.

01:12:22 - 01:12:26 | Speaker 1:

And they don't live under elliptical machines. and yet that's where I think he is.

01:12:27 - 01:12:34 | Speaker 4:

Did you possibly have a pet hedgehog? Because if it's not that, it's probably a possum or a mole or something.

01:12:34 - 01:12:48 | Speaker 1:

A mole? You mean like on Khloe Kardashian's sourpuss? I mean, that is not sexy like Cindy Crawford. Someone needs to tell her. When can you send one of your crews to go through my house and find this little bugger?

01:12:49 - 01:12:52 | Speaker 4:

Okay, can I get your name and address so I can come out?

01:12:53 - 01:13:02 | Speaker 1:

Yes. My name is Christophe with a K, and I live in a condo. What time can you be here? Because I don't want this little thing pooping on my throw rug.

01:13:02 - 01:13:07 | Speaker 4:

First, let me get your address up in the system. Then we can get an appointment.

01:13:07 - 01:13:10 | Speaker 1:

My what? You faded out. What do you want? My pant size?

01:13:10 - 01:13:11 | Unknown:

No.

01:13:11 - 01:13:14 | Speaker 4:

For address. Okay. So I can put you in the system.

01:13:14 - 01:13:18 | Speaker 1:

Great. Okay. My name is Christophe with a K.

01:13:19 - 01:13:19 | Speaker 4:

Got that.

01:13:20 - 01:13:23 | Speaker 1:

K. Christophe with a K. Okay.

01:13:23 - 01:13:24 | Speaker 4:

Now, address.

01:13:24 - 01:13:34 | Speaker 1:

Kristoff. That's your name. With a K and two Fs. Right. You got that? So it's Kristoff.

01:13:35 - 01:13:39 | Speaker 4:

Kristoff with a K, two Fs, and you live at... Well, not together.

01:13:39 - 01:13:43 | Speaker 1:

It's K-R-I-S-T-O-F-F. K-R-I-S-T-O-F-F, yes.

01:13:43 - 01:13:45 | Speaker 4:

Got you. And your last name.

01:13:46 - 01:13:53 | Speaker 1:

O-M-G. I just thought of something. What if it has babies in my house?

01:13:53 - 01:13:59 | Speaker 4:

Sir, can I please get your address? That way I can get it. Oh, my God.

01:14:00 - 01:14:04 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. I think it's a koala bear.

01:14:05 - 01:14:06 | Speaker 4:

A koala bear.

01:14:06 - 01:14:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Look at him. And he's got these beady eyes. And he's holding a sign that says, you've just been the victim of a mojo in the morning phone scam.

01:14:17 - 01:14:18 | Speaker 4:

Are you shitting me?

01:14:20 - 01:14:25 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Jason, good morning. I hope you had your coffee. Your girlfriend wanted us to phone scam you.

01:14:26 - 01:14:29 | Speaker 4:

And I know this isn't even the weirdest call I'm going to get today.

01:14:32 - 01:14:49 | Speaker 3:

We will, we will scam you. If I could say anything I wanted to, I'd say that was f***ing funny s*** right there. I don't care who you are. It's the home of the world-famous phone scams. Mojo in the Morning.

01:14:50 - 01:14:59 | Unknown:

We'll have that for you coming up here in the next 30 minutes. Trip to Disney to give away. A lot of stuff to get to this morning, so make sure that you keep on listening to Mojo in the morning. I think it's like the second thing on Twitter, at Mojo in the Morning.

01:16:50 - 01:16:55 | Speaker 3:

I'm coming. Yeah, same. I'm not swinging a club. I'm just going to drink some beers with everybody who's coming by.

01:16:55 - 01:16:59 | Speaker 2:

Me too, because you are a professional top golfer.

01:17:00 - 01:17:06 | Speaker 3:

You are really good. But the more you talk that up, the more it's going to look bad when I look too bad.

01:17:06 - 01:17:26 | Speaker 2:

No. Well, first off, if you win, you'll be doing it in front of a bunch of people because there's a bunch of Pistons and Tigers players that are going to be coming to this thing and maybe even some former pro golfers that will be there. Imagine if you win in the tournament, and it's like, the winner is the radio DJ.

01:17:27 - 01:17:30 | Speaker 3:

Who doesn't golf. Yeah, that doesn't golf at all.

01:17:30 - 01:17:48 | Speaker 2:

You can go online to sheriffpal.com for more information. It's Mojo's top golf classic hackers and whackers to raise money so that they can do their little league this year. All right, it's Mojo in the morning show. Megan, it's trending on TikTok. You saw it, and you were shocked when you saw this.

01:17:48 - 01:17:52 | Speaker 1:

It's not trending on TikTok. I was doing research on TikTok.

01:17:53 - 01:18:00 | Speaker 2:

My favorite is Megan will sometimes have a topic and she'll do the topic and I'll go, wait, didn't I see something like that on TikTok not that long ago?

01:18:01 - 01:18:29 | Speaker 1:

No, I came up with it because I am original. But it's funny that you do bring it up because I think one of the things that we all enjoy, enjoy is probably the wrong word. It's almost like a car accident. You have to keep watching. It's not the most enjoyable, but it is entertaining. are, like, all of the fights that have been happening on airplanes because it's just kind of insane how people have been acting for the past couple of years. It's crazy, and I'm living for it.

01:18:29 - 01:18:30 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no.

01:18:31 - 01:18:31 | Speaker 1:

Sam?

01:18:32 - 01:18:34 | Speaker 3:

Don't root on people being idiots.

01:18:34 - 01:19:35 | Speaker 1:

Yes, yes, do it because it brings me joy. But I kind of always assumed that because flight attendants have to put up with so much malarkey on the planes, They've got to be making good money, right? They get to travel all over the place. Some of them are carrying around very expensive bags. And I said, oh, this must be like WWE wrestling. If you just get through the play, you're going to walk away with a lot of good money. And there's probably some repercussions to your mental health and your body. But you know what? You got a fat paycheck. And if you're in my world, worth it, right? Probably not the best outlook to have on this, but it's true. I'm like, oh, well, they probably get paid well. Well, there's a new trend on TikTok where all the flight attendants are revealing their salaries, and oh my God, I was flabbergasted. They are some of the most underpaid people on the planet. For full-time work, they are walking away, on average, with less than $30,000 a year, and they literally break up physical flights on a daily basis.

01:19:35 - 01:19:36 | Speaker 3:

Wow.

01:19:37 - 01:19:38 | Speaker 1:

Underpaid. That's it.

01:19:38 - 01:19:44 | Speaker 3:

Under $30,000? I knew they weren't paid enough for the garbage they put up with, but under $30,000?

01:19:44 - 01:19:47 | Speaker 1:

It's literally not livable. And those are full-time flight attendants?

01:19:47 - 01:19:48 | Speaker 3:

It's not livable.

01:19:48 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 1:

It's not livable. I don't know how anybody who is a flight attendant is managing to pay your bills or why you're doing it because it seems like a whole lot of work for no...

01:20:00 - 01:20:15 | Speaker 6:

Respect and really no help from your higher-ups, if we're being honest. They kind of hang you out to dry all the time. And it's not worth it. Like, are you even making enough money that when you're getting these free flights places that you can actually enjoy the travel that you're doing?

01:20:15 - 01:20:25 | Speaker 1:

Well, and the thing is that these free flights places, they're there for about five minutes and they get back on the flight and they go back to where they were once at. I'd love to hear from flight attendants to call us and tell us this.

01:20:25 - 01:20:57 | Speaker 2:

I knew a flight attendant. she started after her kids got into school and she wasn't needed around during the day as much and she would do those quick little commuter shuttle things and be back it was so crazy she would just like go back and forth to dc and back in one day and be there on the bus stop to get her kids but then one of the reasons a lot of people become flight attendants is they love to travel and you do get a lot of perks as far as free flights and stuff like that but man in the last three years you realize just the lack of respect people have for them they're now they're bouncers they're medics, they're lawyers, they're, you know.

01:20:58 - 01:21:10 | Speaker 5:

And unfortunately, I think that that goes for almost any job. I mean, people are just, like, I think about, like, baristas, people who work in drive-thrus, servers. Everybody's just brutal to everybody.

01:21:10 - 01:21:40 | Speaker 1:

But not to put any of them down. They don't have the lives of 300 people on the line in a metal cylinder flying in the sky. Like, it's amazing. Spike brought up the greatest point. they are the the on-plane security like how ridiculous is that uh what's up Stephanie how you doing hi I'm good thanks how are you guys good we're talking about this latest trend on TikTok uh of flight attendants and what they're they're not getting paid how much they're making

01:21:40 - 01:21:55 | Speaker 7:

yeah so I've also read that flight attendants don't get paid until like the the door shuts on the plane so all of the stuff that they're putting in the overhead compartments is all just like free right they're not getting that does not seem right to me yeah it's gate to gate how are

01:21:55 - 01:22:04 | Speaker 2:

they getting away to push away yeah i think i think there was a union trying to change that and say they got to change it because they couldn't get enough recruits to like replace

01:22:04 - 01:22:16 | Speaker 1:

people who've left the industry yeah 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is the telephone number i'm looking at some of these uh some of these tiktoks of of what people are uh are getting paid uh the

01:22:16 - 01:22:25 | Speaker 6:

flight attendants are getting paid it all started with me trying to find out what emirates girls make because i just assumed that those girls were the rich girls and apparently they get paid like

01:22:25 - 01:22:41 | Speaker 4:

less than most this is a question i get asked a lot and the majority of the information is available on the airline's official website these three elements consist within a cabin cruise wage packet one your basic salary two your flying hours and three your layover expenses this is

01:22:41 - 01:22:50 | Speaker 3:

a screenshot from my airline's official website the salary is calculated in dirhams which is the local currency in Dubai, and these are approximate numbers for a grade two cabin crew, which is

01:22:50 - 01:22:52 | Speaker 1:

$4,200 a month.

01:22:53 - 01:23:03 | Speaker 3:

That's in Durham. That's not US hours. Your starting salary is a salary you will receive each month regardless. Our flying hours, yep, you guessed it, are calculated on the amount we are in there.

01:23:03 - 01:23:08 | Speaker 1:

It's amazing, but they do get that nice little outfit with the hat. The hat looks amazing.

01:23:09 - 01:23:11 | Speaker 2:

I just wondered why you thought they were rich. Is it because of the uniform?

01:23:12 - 01:23:31 | Speaker 6:

Yes, 100%. I was like, they look good. They look good. And I know how much an Emirates flight costs. And I would assume for people who are dropping $20,000 on a flight ticket, granted, those are like the long, the fact that I have spent so much time researching flights is crazy because I will never be able to afford to travel in my life.

01:23:31 - 01:23:40 | Speaker 2:

But it's cute that you think because the airline charges us so much that they're handing it to their employees. I don't know what I was thinking. Like you think the barista at Starbucks is making a million dollars a year.

01:23:40 - 01:23:47 | Speaker 6:

Right. But you would think, okay, those little pod ones that are, like, international flights are, like, truly $10,000 to $20,000 a ticket.

01:23:48 - 01:23:48 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:23:48 - 01:23:51 | Speaker 6:

And these girls are walking away with less than $30,000 a year.

01:23:51 - 01:23:52 | Speaker 1:

Ashley, what's up?

01:23:53 - 01:23:55 | Speaker 6:

Hi. Good morning, guys.

01:23:55 - 01:23:55 | Speaker 1:

Good morning.

01:23:55 - 01:23:55 | Speaker 6:

How are you?

01:23:56 - 01:23:56 | Speaker 1:

You were a flight attendant?

01:23:57 - 01:24:55 | Speaker 8:

I used to be, yes. Absolutely. And I loved it. I did. But I think a lot of people don't know that flight attendants don't actually start getting paid that, like, actual big dollar amount. until the cabin door shuts and when it opens back open once you land then you stop getting paid that we just per diem which is like a dollar something we just mentioned it so before the door shuts what are you getting paid your per diem which is probably i mean when i was a flight attendant back in 2018 um like a dollar 72 or something is it dollar 72 what an hour an hour or an hour yeah so i would do domestic flights so like if you're doing domestic flights just flying you know an hour here an hour there you're getting paid like maybe twenty seven dollars forty seven dollars a day or something like how is that even worth it when you're when that's what

01:24:55 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 2:

parking costs for the day at the airport do you get free parking well i mean we get free parking

01:25:00 - 01:25:09 | Speaker 1:

there but i mean but you have to park like eight hours from the airport and take a shuttle and tip the driver quick question for you when all things were done what would you make a year

01:25:09 - 01:25:55 | Speaker 4:

oh i mean i didn't even make it through the year to be honest um um i uh i think i made less than 32 that year 30 wow 32 less than that but the other thing about flight attendants is that And you'll keep the job because of the perks and everything, but there's so many of the downfalls to it that, like, bottom line is it's easier to replace a flight attendant than it is a pilot. Wow. And so when flight attendants get the downside of either being sexually harassed or assaulted or something like that happens to you and you try and go report it, airlines don't want to deal with it. So they'll replace you because everyone wants to be a flight attendant.

01:25:55 - 01:26:07 | Speaker 2:

that happened yeah that happened to my friend when she reported racism she was facing racism from um some of the guests whatever the people flying and her airline literally just booted her

01:26:07 - 01:27:07 | Speaker 4:

off of her flights yep that's what they that's what they do to you i got assaulted by a pilot and they were like hey you know what we need him more than you so bye wow interesting um yeah but I mean, if you really love travel, like, which I did, I love the job. I did meet a lot of great people, but when it is domestic flight, especially, um, and you're on like the East coast, like I was, um, you're not really getting a ton of flight time. So it's very hard. And when you're moving city to city, luckily I was based out of Detroit, but a lot of the time you'll be, you have to commute. Um, so if you're based in Dallas, you get like a crash pad. There's not actually enough for you to live. So flight attendants will share what they call a crash pad, and there will be about, like, I don't know, anywhere from five to, like, 12 flight attendants all in, like, this one, like, apartment, basically, and you get a car, and, like, that's where you'll sleep until, like, you get on to your next flight.

01:27:07 - 01:27:51 | Speaker 1:

Man. Thank you for the call. We appreciate that. What are some other occupations that we would be shocked to know what they get paid? I had a friend of mine that was a police officer and like starting off police officers in major cities. And I don't want to say which one, but it was like twenty some thousand dollars. Like it was like ridiculous. And I know now they have to be a little bit more competitive with it. But still, it's like I'm not, you know, having people shoot at me for some, you know, ungodly amount of money. And that was always one of the things is, you know, if you're only paying twenty thousand dollars for these jobs, you're getting not the best of the best cream-of-the-crop people that want to work for $20,000. What's going on, Mark?

01:27:52 - 01:27:53 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what's up?

01:27:53 - 01:27:55 | Speaker 1:

What's happening, man? You wanted to call up?

01:27:56 - 01:28:04 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so I work in the fast food industry. I work at McDonald's $13.60 an hour.

01:28:04 - 01:28:05 | Speaker 2:

Oh, wait, wait, go back.

01:28:05 - 01:28:22 | Speaker 1:

We lost you there for a second. What did you say? Yeah, you there? You work at McDonald's, and you make how much? $13.60 an hour. Is that at all McDonald's now? Because I saw the other day at the McDonald's that I went through in Waterford that they were saying $16 to $17 an hour they're starting the office.

01:28:23 - 01:28:29 | Speaker 3:

No, no. That's a lie to get you in the door. Basically what that is is that's only for the manager positions.

01:28:29 - 01:28:34 | Speaker 1:

Interesting. Wow. What's going on, Julia? Hi.

01:28:34 - 01:28:46 | Speaker 5:

Hi. I work in a local school district, and the secretaries in the office make less than what the people at McDonald's do, and they've worked two years without a contract.

01:28:47 - 01:29:00 | Speaker 1:

Wow, that's crazy. And, you know, after you see all these stories of school shootings and, you know, trying to take care of these kids, the secretary in the school is the one that's like the first line of defense, for gosh sake. What's happening, Marlene?

01:29:00 - 01:29:26 | Speaker 6:

Good morning, y'all. Good morning. Nurse AIDS. I don't make the low wage anymore because I've been doing it for 35 years. But if you're a new nursing assistant, you can work tons of hours getting poo through at you, spit, hit, everything. And you're lucky to make $35,000, $40,000 a year. And that's if you put in mad overtime.

01:29:26 - 01:29:34 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Man, any job where you've got to change a person's feces or have it thrown at you deserves to get paid, Especially when it comes to somebody's health.

01:29:35 - 01:29:42 | Speaker 6:

My son got a job at Taco Bell, and he only makes a few dollars less than what I made two jobs ago.

01:29:43 - 01:29:48 | Speaker 1:

Unbelievable. Wow. Carly? Yes. Hey, what's going on?

01:29:50 - 01:29:54 | Speaker 4:

Just on my way to my child care job, which is actually what I called about.

01:29:54 - 01:29:56 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Grossly underpaid?

01:29:57 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 4:

So underpaid. I know.

01:30:00 - 01:30:09 | Speaker 3:

a lot of the lead teachers um make ten dollars an hour geez um that's just in like the northwest

01:30:09 - 01:30:14 | Speaker 2:

that i know of let me ask you for child care do they require when you go interview for the job

01:30:14 - 01:30:21 | Speaker 3:

do they want you to have a college degree um preschool they want an associate yeah okay and

01:30:21 - 01:30:40 | Speaker 2:

i know the same with social workers like they require certain degrees and you're like you're gonna pay me 10 bucks an hour but you know you want me to have the education that i'm gonna be paying for for the next 50 years it's like when you ever supposed to be able to pay back your student loans when you're not even making enough to pay rent let me ask you a question would it be

01:30:40 - 01:30:45 | Speaker 1:

more uh better off for you to go find like one of those families that's willing to pay a bunch

01:30:45 - 01:31:01 | Speaker 3:

of money and nanny for them then do that yes actually um my daughter actually attends the center that i am currently at for free so that is a perk oh okay that makes sense but a lot of Families don't want you to take your child with you.

01:31:02 - 01:31:02 | Speaker 4:

Right. Yeah. Right.

01:31:02 - 01:31:10 | Speaker 3:

So that is the only reason I have not left the industry. And I'm blessed my center pays more than most.

01:31:11 - 01:31:12 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I mean, you're asking.

01:31:12 - 01:31:20 | Speaker 3:

But anywhere I've looked to go elsewhere, it is insanely, it's just so insane how underpaid we are as a whole.

01:31:21 - 01:31:31 | Speaker 2:

Mojo's asked if it would be better for you to go private, it would be better for you to be an Uber driver. And that's what's a greater problem with society is we need child care. for other parents to go to work and be able to afford bills.

01:31:31 - 01:33:47 | Speaker 1:

That's the reason why companies aren't bringing back people to work. They can't because of that. You bring up a really interesting point about that. Everybody's always wondering the question, where is everybody at? They're not working because nobody's getting employees coming into their businesses. They're doing the Ubers, the Instacarts. They're doing all that stuff. The door dashes. Flexible hours. Yeah, flexible hours, and they make more money doing it, And therein lies the, you know, reasoning why a lot of people don't have businesses, you know, getting people in there. You're going to have to pay more than those convenient delivery services businesses. All right, Mojo in the Morning Show. So I was talking to my son, and he was telling me about somebody that he went to school with in middle school that he follows on their social media. And they posted something the other day. And I got to be careful because they live right here in town, so they probably could be listening. although they did it, so I guess it's out there, but people will know who I'm talking about if they hear me tell the story. They posted, he posted a GoFundMe, which, by the way, you should, GoFundMe has gotten way too crazy. Everybody's doing GoFundMes for some of the craziest reasons, which, honestly, what ends up happening is when there is a legit reason for a GoFundMe, now I don't even look at it anymore because I think to myself, anybody can do it because listen to what he's doing it for. money to help pay for his engagement ring to get engaged to his girlfriend oh my gosh and he put this whole thing and joe read it to me on the phone and it was this whole thing about how we've been in love for so many years i love you love her more than ever i've fallen into these hard times and i really want to give her what you know she would deserve and if there's any way you can help out and he put the go fund me and he put the a ten thousand dollar dollar amount as his goal and he has over twelve hundred dollars wow in money so far but who is donating like like family friends and stuff on social media it's not strangers no it's no it's not it's it's a to basically you know ask uh people around you to uh to do it and it got me thinking this kid's either brilliant or we're all suckers that we're willing to do this i mean it made it

01:33:47 - 01:34:21 | Speaker 2:

easy to beg online so more power to you if you could find some dummies that are going to give you the money maybe someone has extra money and just wants to give it to you that's fine i think it's not a good look it's stupid i see someone that i know asking from go they started go fund me because they want to go to lalapalooza they're a huge billy eilish fan they want to go see they you know and it's real expensive to be four days in chicago and then the four-day ticket is i think almost five hundred dollars and it's like yeah you know why i'm not going to lalapalooza because i don't have an extra five hundred dollars to spend so why if you don't have the

01:34:21 - 01:34:36 | Speaker 4:

money you just don't go to the concert or you buy you buy the ring that you can't afford right yeah or and then later ring to get engaged right or later you know then in your marriage when you've been married for a longer time and you've established yourself yes you upgrade that's

01:34:36 - 01:34:46 | Speaker 2:

What I did, I was making $5.75 an hour when I got engaged. And you get the ring you could afford, or even more. You probably can't even afford it then. And then later in life, you can upgrade and stuff.

01:34:46 - 01:34:52 | Speaker 1:

It used to be that a GoFundMe was for the tragic house fire or illness.

01:34:52 - 01:34:58 | Speaker 4:

A child who's sick that the parents can't afford to pay the medical bills, which, my God, those I absolutely understand.

01:34:58 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 1:

Now it's GoFundMe.

01:35:00 - 01:35:26 | Speaker 2:

For an engagement ring Has anybody ever been invited to a wedding Because I've heard this is also the case too Where people will have weddings And they will ask you Blatantly to just give money Because they want money to help pay For them to get into a new house Or They want to pay for The expenses of the wedding Or quite possibly They want to pay for their honeymoon That's their way of getting their honeymoon

01:35:26 - 01:35:29 | Speaker 4:

No I think people just have lived together long enough

01:35:29 - 01:35:41 | Speaker 5:

now that I don't need salad bowls. Right, I was going to say, that's not offensive to me. I don't raise an eyebrow at that, actually, because I'm probably going to give you money anyway, so if you're telling me you're just going to use it specifically for your honeymoon,

01:35:41 - 01:35:53 | Speaker 3:

okay. Makes it easy. I'm totally fine with that. Then I'm giving you what I know you really need for your wedding. It's different than somebody asking for, you know, I want to go to Vegas for my 21st birthday.

01:35:53 - 01:36:10 | Speaker 2:

Is it okay if I donate to this GoFundMe for the engagement ring? Yes. Can I? No. Let me finish That I ask that I be part of the engagement I want to be the person that gets to me I want to put the ring on her finger Whoever gives the most dollar amounts Is that okay Megan?

01:36:11 - 01:36:13 | Speaker 5:

I think it's funny for sure

01:36:13 - 01:36:18 | Speaker 2:

Megan you seem like the type that would Actually put a GoFundMe together for something That's frivolous

01:36:18 - 01:36:33 | Speaker 5:

Yes I would I have a question though And I don't know how well you know this guy Because it's Joe's friend Do you think that his girlfriend Would be kind of embarrassed To know that this was

01:36:33 - 01:36:53 | Speaker 2:

She was tagged in the thing So it went on her side too She didn't go to school with Joe So Joe doesn't know her But I did click on to see what she looked like I wanted to find out She was a nice kid I mean honestly I'll say this What would be a GoFundMe for Megan What would be a perfect one

01:36:53 - 01:37:01 | Speaker 5:

For Taco Bell What was it for her? It was never Taco Bell. But where did it actually go? I know. It was for Breaking Night.

01:37:01 - 01:37:04 | Speaker 2:

You donated. I went to Breaking Night. Let's do a GoFundMe. Let's go.

01:37:04 - 01:37:10 | Speaker 3:

I think Megan should do one. She's never been to Disney World. Her dream to see the princesses.

01:37:10 - 01:37:12 | Speaker 2:

I thought she wanted to go to Harry C. Harry Potter more than Disney.

01:37:12 - 01:37:14 | Speaker 3:

That too. I haven't been. Oh, you've been to Disney.

01:37:15 - 01:37:16 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah, Mike's never been.

01:37:17 - 01:37:18 | Speaker 3:

Megan's Harry Potter. I mixed them up.

01:37:18 - 01:37:27 | Speaker 2:

No, let's do for Megan outfits for her dog. Let's do that. So that there can be new outfits for Coraline. What's going on, Emily?

01:37:29 - 01:37:31 | Speaker 1:

Hey. Hey, what's up? How are you guys?

01:37:31 - 01:37:32 | Speaker 2:

Good. What's going on?

01:37:32 - 01:37:59 | Speaker 1:

Hey, I'm just commenting on the money for the wedding. I was expecting that all Italian weddings are pretty much like that. You know, people just basically come to the wedding and they know that the bride and groom is expecting to just get money. And it's kind of an insult to the parents that are paying for the wedding. You don't give money For the gift instead of An actual physical gift So if you bring a physical gift

01:37:59 - 01:38:03 | Speaker 2:

It's frowned upon It's the money that needs to come

01:38:03 - 01:38:13 | Speaker 1:

Exactly Because they know that the parents of the room Are usually paying for the wedding So if you bring a gift that money isn't going back To the parents that are paying

01:38:13 - 01:38:16 | Speaker 2:

God I wish we would have had that When we got married I know

01:38:16 - 01:38:25 | Speaker 3:

No, I have a useless, fancy gravy boat that you're never, ever going to use because you have nothing else to match it. I'm not throwing a fancy dinner party. I need the cash.

01:38:25 - 01:39:02 | Speaker 2:

We had a very modest wedding, and it was because we were young at the time, and Chelsea's mom and dad did everything that they could. Chelsea's mom ended up getting two jobs to help pay for our wedding. But I remember my dad, his donation to the wedding was he was going to pay for the bar tab. But he did this whole thing where he gave me money ahead of the wedding and said, here's the money. If it goes on over, you get to keep it. If it goes under, you know, and so I was cutting everybody off early. Chelsea's uncle, Tom, was like trying to order like shots of tequila. I'm like, no, we're done.

01:39:03 - 01:39:12 | Speaker 5:

This thing's over with. Listen to this text. I know someone that did a GoFundMe for surgery for their dog. Meanwhile, he was doing a full rebuild on his muscle car.

01:39:12 - 01:39:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Yeah. And nobody knew about that. What's up, Laura?

01:39:17 - 01:39:19 | Speaker 4:

Hi. How are you guys?

01:39:19 - 01:39:22 | Speaker 2:

Good. So is this an idea for what Megan should get as a GoFundMe?

01:39:24 - 01:39:34 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely not. No. But this is something that I know, like, someone in our city did a GoFundMe to get butt implants.

01:39:34 - 01:39:37 | Speaker 2:

Hell, yeah. Megan, would you want that, too? Hell, yeah.

01:39:37 - 01:39:40 | Speaker 4:

Did he or she get it? Did they get the money?

01:39:42 - 01:39:44 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, did they get the butt implants with the money?

01:39:46 - 01:39:49 | Speaker 4:

I think she ended up financing them because nobody would donate.

01:39:49 - 01:39:51 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, rightfully so.

01:39:52 - 01:39:57 | Speaker 2:

Now, I would donate to the butt implants if I could watch the video of what the surgery looks like.

01:39:57 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 4:

I'd live stream it if you fund it.

01:40:00 - 01:40:07 | Speaker 5:

I'll live stream it. I mean, yeah, that's not a bad idea. She should have included that on, like, an OnlyFans or something, even capitalized more.

01:40:07 - 01:40:31 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah, forget GoFundMe. Let's just go to OnlyFans. That's the true way. On OnlyFans, what do I need to do to get enough money for an engagement ring? That's what they should do. Mojo on the morning show. Yesterday morning, we were having a discussion. I think it might have been right around this time. And I remember, Mike, you were talking about, what was it at this time? Was it the crying room? Yeah, the crying room. That's right. Okay.

01:40:31 - 01:40:32 | Speaker 4:

Seems to be a pattern here.

01:40:32 - 01:40:40 | Speaker 2:

So it's interesting because yesterday you were talking about the crying room. Now you're talking about what makes you cry, and it actually almost made you cry the other night.

01:40:40 - 01:41:15 | Speaker 4:

It happened twice. It happened at the Pistons game. I was talking to listeners and walking around. I think Spike was right there, too, when this happened. Oh, I watched it all go down. Yeah, and then it happened yesterday when I was at Key of Grand Rapids North. I was walking, just walking, talking to people or whatever, And this woman walked by me quickly And it probably was my fault There was a lot of people But it was probably my fault And how I was walking or whatever And she stepped on my shoes And she stepped on the back part of my shoes And I could feel the back of my shoe Like fold sideways

01:41:15 - 01:41:28 | Speaker 3:

Now let me say this Because walking with Mike when it happened I thought somebody punched him in the back Like his reaction I thought oh my gosh what happened I thought he was hurt And I looked back to see What did someone do Like, did he just get stabbed? Did someone shank him?

01:41:29 - 01:42:09 | Speaker 4:

Oh, she stepped on my shoe. Okay, so for the last two years, I wore, like, we were in COVID. I just wore Crocs. I wore Crocs. I didn't wear anything else. I wore, like, I haven't upgraded my shoes in many, many, many, many years. And I finally have started doing it again, like, slowly just buying a pair of New Balances and buying a pair of Nikes and just slowly, slowly, like, rebuilding my shoe game again. And so I'm wearing, like, newer shoes. So when she stepped on them, and it always happens when you get new shoes. When she stepped on them, I instantly just went, oh, my God, I want to say something. What do you, you can't be mean about that. I was just like, oh, no, it's totally fine.

01:42:09 - 01:42:11 | Speaker 5:

No, but it's not. No, it's not. It's not.

01:42:11 - 01:42:19 | Speaker 4:

Was it me? No. No, no, no. No. Because I ran into you. Okay. No, no, no, no, no. Spike was right, I mean, literally right there. I was there.

01:42:19 - 01:42:26 | Speaker 3:

And then we lost him in conversation for the next 10 minutes. Like, he could not focus on anything else. He didn't even remember what he was talking about

01:42:26 - 01:42:36 | Speaker 4:

I think we were looking for food And I couldn't even think about food at a time like that So again, what shoes were you wearing? I was wearing New Balances that time New Balances

01:42:36 - 01:42:41 | Speaker 3:

I thought you were like I thought they were like custom Jordans Or some collectible thing

01:42:41 - 01:42:43 | Speaker 5:

Doesn't matter, new shoes are new shoes

01:42:43 - 01:42:48 | Speaker 2:

The New Balances that are out right now are the coolest ones I love them with the big logo, the New Balance logo

01:42:48 - 01:42:54 | Speaker 3:

And aren't they a hundred bucks? They're like every other sneaker They're not like thousand dollar shoes It doesn't matter.

01:42:54 - 01:42:54 | Speaker 5:

They're $100.

01:42:55 - 01:43:01 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but, I mean, I thought the way he reacted, I thought they were like some rare collectible shoe or something.

01:43:01 - 01:43:10 | Speaker 4:

Spike, you could feel the bottom of the shoe. It felt like it ripped off. I thought I was going to have that flappy thing at the bottom of my shoe because I thought she ripped it off, and I wanted to. It makes my skin close thinking about it.

01:43:11 - 01:43:40 | Speaker 2:

I've got a klutzy way to myself. You guys have probably noticed it. I kind of bump into things and step on things. And I feel bad because I feel like I step on people's feet all the time. And I never knew that they were crying Over their shoes getting damaged I thought they were crying because of the weight of my foot And there is nothing worse than that But I didn't realize that you got that particular Over somebody stepping on your shoe And maybe scuffing it up

01:43:40 - 01:43:55 | Speaker 1:

Mike, you're going to cringe at this I did this to my ex-boyfriend We went and got ice cream And I dumped my entire chocolate cone On top of his white Vans He was so mad. Well, he's not mad. He was like, it's all right. That's all you can say. No, it's not.

01:43:55 - 01:44:05 | Speaker 5:

That's all you can say. Or girls know the pain of you get new high heels, for example, and you trip or something, and you get the crease near the toe of them.

01:44:05 - 01:44:10 | Speaker 3:

You mean like what shoes are used for to walk? Right. I'm with you on this one.

01:44:11 - 01:44:12 | Speaker 5:

No, I hate that.

01:44:12 - 01:44:17 | Speaker 4:

People go, my shoes look like they've been on the ground. Right.

01:44:17 - 01:44:20 | Speaker 5:

No, you don't understand what I'm talking about then.

01:44:20 - 01:44:24 | Speaker 3:

Go buy some art if you just want to look at something expensive. These are for walking.

01:44:24 - 01:44:26 | Speaker 2:

Once they crease, are they done?

01:44:26 - 01:44:32 | Speaker 5:

They're not done, but it's like the scoff. You're like, dang it. They don't look great anymore.

01:44:32 - 01:44:42 | Speaker 2:

I do agree with you, Mike, on shoelaces and stuff like that. Once your laces look bad, it's hard to get it off. Or spilling hot sauce is a bad one, too.

01:44:42 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 4:

That's the first thing people notice when they walk up and see you is your shoes. No, it's not. I guarantee it is. I guarantee it's not. What do you think it is, then? People's faces. I look you in the eye. I don't look at your feet and go, oh, dirty shoes. Oh, I see it, please. You got good shoes on, though. You immediately go, oh, wow.

01:45:00 - 01:45:01 | Speaker 5:

Wow, those are nice. I like those.

01:45:01 - 01:45:03 | Speaker 6:

Hey, Megan, what's up? Listener Megan, hi.

01:45:04 - 01:45:14 | Speaker 1:

Hi. I was just going to say, I cannot believe that Mike just said shoe game and New Balances. What's wrong with New Balances?

01:45:14 - 01:45:16 | Speaker 3:

New Balances are the dad shoe. No, not now.

01:45:17 - 01:45:18 | Speaker 4:

No, not anymore. Not anymore.

01:45:18 - 01:45:23 | Speaker 3:

Oh, well, now because everybody wants to wear them and they're cool again, we have to treat them like they're nice?

01:45:24 - 01:45:30 | Speaker 4:

Just don't step on them. Champion sweatshirts for $7 at Walmart? Right. Did we forget? What's up, Kat?

01:45:31 - 01:45:34 | Speaker 1:

Hi. Yeah. Excuse me. I'm a huge sneakerhead.

01:45:34 - 01:45:34 | Speaker 6:

Mm-hmm.

01:45:35 - 01:45:49 | Speaker 1:

And I got these new Jordan 4s. They're called the Rastas. They're limited edition, only for females. And they have, like, these crazy colors on them. So I went to go see my friend while he was at his job, and he kicked my shoes.

01:45:49 - 01:45:50 | Speaker 3:

He kicked them.

01:45:50 - 01:45:52 | Speaker 1:

And we wound up getting into a little scuffle.

01:45:53 - 01:45:58 | Speaker 3:

What way did he kick them? Intentionally, or he was just walking and got too close?

01:45:58 - 01:46:00 | Speaker 1:

No, he kicked them intentionally.

01:46:02 - 01:46:02 | Speaker 6:

Okay.

01:46:03 - 01:46:05 | Speaker 1:

Just because he knew that it would make you upset?

01:46:06 - 01:46:09 | Speaker 6:

I would kick him right in his nuts. Yes.

01:46:10 - 01:46:18 | Speaker 1:

I was close to that. I kind of like, you know, gave him a little ring around the neck, and we scuffled jokingly and whatnot at his job, and I'm like, you never kick somebody's shoes.

01:46:18 - 01:46:19 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:46:19 - 01:46:20 | Speaker 1:

I mean, they were $250.

01:46:21 - 01:46:39 | Speaker 6:

On a scale here of the people on the show, Kat, we're going to kind of let – I think Mike's shoe game and Lydia, who is our behind the scenes, you know, director. She just talked to you on the phone. She's a total sneakerhead. KP, you're a little bit right now. You got a little bit of a shoe game going.

01:46:40 - 01:46:49 | Speaker 3:

And I go crazy with shoes. They make all my friends make fun of me that I buy new shoes. I bought two pair last week. Like I buy I have way too many shoes, but I'm buying them to wear them.

01:46:49 - 01:46:52 | Speaker 6:

But are yours cool shoes like Mike's shoes?

01:46:52 - 01:46:55 | Speaker 3:

I don't know what cool shoes is. You mean expensive shoes?

01:46:56 - 01:46:57 | Speaker 6:

Like, no, you wear, like, Converse and stuff.

01:46:57 - 01:47:12 | Speaker 3:

I just, no, last week you told me about those Hoka or Hova or whatever. The Hoka's, yeah. Hoka's. So I went and tried them on. They were, like, walking on a cloud. They were so comfortable I bought a pair. I'm going to wear them and use them as intended. I'm not like, oh, my gosh, don't look at them. You might get them dirty. I know.

01:47:12 - 01:47:20 | Speaker 1:

A good friend of mine, he actually buys and collects shoes, but he's always like, you know, you buy shoes to wear them, which is understandable, of course. Yeah, yeah.

01:47:20 - 01:47:28 | Speaker 3:

And I also like that Mike says, like, the Converse aren't, I mean, Mojo says the Converse aren't cool. Well, they've been around for 85 years. They're doing something right.

01:47:29 - 01:47:30 | Speaker 6:

I know. I think they're great for some people.

01:47:30 - 01:47:34 | Speaker 1:

But Converse, like, they actually look better when they're dirty.

01:47:34 - 01:47:34 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:47:35 - 01:47:36 | Speaker 1:

Yes, for sure Converse.

01:47:36 - 01:47:52 | Speaker 4:

No, no, because I said this in the studio a couple of days ago, and I said it's embarrassing to walk or rock clean white Vans or Converse. And y'all were like, y'all wear dirty shoes, Rhett. and now she calls it and says it, and you defend her? That's not what we said.

01:47:53 - 01:47:53 | Speaker 6:

No.

01:47:53 - 01:47:54 | Speaker 4:

I didn't say that.

01:47:54 - 01:48:00 | Speaker 6:

No, I think that we kind of joked with Megan about that. It was just a joke. But AJ, what's going on?

01:48:01 - 01:48:03 | Speaker 2:

Oh, hey, how's it going, guys?

01:48:03 - 01:48:04 | Speaker 6:

Good. What's happening?

01:48:05 - 01:48:38 | Speaker 2:

So I took this girl. We met up downtown, and we were going to see this concert, and we were having fun. Everything was good, and she got a little too drunk, and she spilled her red drink all over my new white Air Force One. I got up and I left her there. Wow. Wow. Oh, my God. Wow. Terrible. I have over 600 pairs of shoes and only like 150 of them have been worn. Wow. If you got so many extra, just wear another pair. You got to let her go because of that?

01:48:38 - 01:48:40 | Speaker 6:

What's your most valuable shoe?

01:48:41 - 01:48:46 | Speaker 2:

I have the Dior Jordan 1. I paid, like, $8,000 for it.

01:48:46 - 01:48:51 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. AJ, what size foot do you have? If you're close to Mike, would you let him borrow?

01:48:52 - 01:48:52 | Unknown:

$10,500.

01:48:53 - 01:48:54 | Speaker 6:

Oh, no, Mike.

01:48:54 - 01:49:23 | Speaker 3:

If I find out next year that AJ's got a GoFundMe going to, like, pay medical bills. Like, at Christmas, I treated myself. I made myself a custom pair of Converse. You can go on their website and, like, start from scratch and build a custom pair. And it's the same $70, $80 that you would pay in a store for a pair of Converse. I wear them around, and I know they're going to eventually get dirty, even though I made these custom one-of-a-kinds, but it's shoes. That's what happens. They get dirty.

01:49:23 - 01:49:29 | Speaker 5:

I agree, but it still does not hurt your soul, no pun intended, when somebody steps on your shoes, when they step up.

01:49:29 - 01:49:31 | Speaker 4:

When you just buy them, when you just lodge them.

01:49:31 - 01:49:31 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, when they stop them.

01:49:32 - 01:49:53 | Speaker 4:

There's two different kinds of shoes. There's the shoes that you wear every day and the shoes you collect, and I get that there's a big collection game. It's like Birkin bags. I get it. I don't get Birkin bags. Well, they're an investment. I agree with you. It doesn't make any sense. No. The facts are they hold their value. I get it. Yeah. But again, you don't see people walking around with Birkin bags if they don't know that there's a chance it could get ruined.

01:49:53 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 3:

Like you were them to the Pistons game that have 18,000 people jammed through trying to get through the gates and the beer line and all that stuff.

01:49:59 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 4:

Right.

01:50:00 - 01:50:05 | Speaker 2:

All right, Shannon, what do you got in this hour's Dirty on the 30?

01:50:05 - 01:51:34 | Speaker 3:

Do clothes for comfort or props to them for great co-parenting. Tristan Thompson bought a mansion literally three houses down from Khloe Kardashian. One, two, three, that's him. And not only is it within walking distance, you can actually see Tristan's house from Khloe's kitchen and vice versa. He purchased the $12.5 million, 11,000 square foot property back in December. And it's funny because Kanye West did exactly the same thing back in 2021. Actually, closer, not three houses away from Kim Kardashian. He actually bought the house directly across the street from Kim in order to be closer to their four kids. Christina Aguilera has a new gig. She is now the co-founder and chief of a wellness company called Playground, which specializes in personal lubricants. She said, even when I was 21, lube was just a part of the conversation. As early as that was for me in my career, I've always loved talking about sex. This company, this playground, currently offers four water-based lubricants. They'll cost you $25 a pop. They're all advertised as plant-based, vegan, and feature ingredients like hyaluronic acid and vitamin E. And so Christina said the products are essentially like vitamins for your vagina because they're good for you. It's not like all the chemicals and stuff, which is almost unheard of in that space. Curb your enthusiasm, Mojo. I know you're still watching. Maybe coming to an end after 12 seasons. Oh, you did? I thought you were still watching.

01:51:34 - 01:51:41 | Speaker 2:

I kind of stopped after a couple, I don't know, like two seasons ago or something like that. Occasionally, if it's on, I'll just see what it's all about.

01:51:42 - 01:53:18 | Speaker 3:

Well, it's funny because I don't think this information was supposed to be leaked, but two producers hinted on social media that they had wrapped production on the show for good. According to a now-deleted tweet from producer John Heyman, And the crew, quote unquote, finished shooting the last scene of the last episode of the final season. And he posted that alongside a photo showing Larry David looking at a monitor that was displaying this apparent final scene of the show. And then executive producer Robert B. Weed also hinted at the show's ending yesterday, writing, First day, March 1998. Last day? Question mark. March 27th, 2023. These 25 years have flown by. Thank you, Larry David. No comment from HBO yet on this. And lastly, I always love these stories when you go back and you learn something about one of your favorite songs. Ed Sheeran recently revealing that Jay-Z respectfully passed on being featured on his song Shape of You. It was released at the start of 2017. Went five times platinum that year, becoming one of the biggest UK singles of all time on streaming services. And Ed said, yeah, he was in touch with Jay-Z's team About doing a collaboration for the song He wanted them to be a part of it But Jay-Z turned it down What do you have going on? What did you say? Yeah, Ed said, I sent him the song And he said, I don't think the song needs a rap verse Ed says, he was probably right He's got a very, very good ear He usually gets things right It was a very natural, respectful pass But the song went on to be super successful I think sometimes in songs like this

01:53:18 - 01:53:22 | Speaker 2:

It sounds awkward when, like, a rap verse comes in.

01:53:22 - 01:53:26 | Speaker 1:

There's a few they wedge in there that you're like, okay, they just wanted that person on the song. It doesn't fit.

01:53:26 - 01:53:29 | Speaker 3:

Or they'll do it after the fact to freshen it up a little bit, you know?

01:53:29 - 01:53:30 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, trying to get some new play.

01:53:30 - 01:53:34 | Speaker 3:

Right, right. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on TheDirtyOnTheMorning.com.

01:53:47 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 2:

Rebecca is a winner. Congratulations. Thank you. I'm so excited. We're excited for you. Rebecca from Toledo, you are now the 95th caller. You can check them out at dealsinthed.com for the $50 cash cards, and we'll be right back. I needed a wake-up song. I was a little tired as the show was going on. Sing a long song. It's not fun when nobody else wants to sing along consistently. Come on.

01:55:00 - 01:55:16 | Speaker 1:

Do you think he just did an interview about this song yesterday? Did he? And he goes, I can't go all night long anymore. He goes, I'm lucky if I can get 15 minutes. Some of the night, some of the night. He's 73 years old.

01:55:16 - 01:56:01 | Speaker 3:

Wow. It's funny. He's only doing like a tour stop in, I think, in Chicago this year and not doing like Michigan. And so there's been talk of a reunion of Joe and Jed and I going to see Lionel Richie because that was the infamous time that we went there and we ended up dancing and partying with Mrs. Pascow, the school secretary at Joe and Jed's high school. So we're trying to figure out a destination for a reunion of Lionel. Such a good show. Feel good to feel good. All right. Welcome to the Mojo in the Morning show. Do you like when I do that or do you look at that as silly?

01:56:01 - 01:56:03 | Speaker 1:

No, it's weirdly kind of Mike and I song.

01:56:04 - 01:56:08 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that is. For the podcast today, maybe. I don't know.

01:56:09 - 01:56:16 | Speaker 1:

I don't know why every time Mike and I are together, especially with Smitty, we sing that song on repeat for hours. Oh, no.

01:56:17 - 01:57:17 | Speaker 5:

Can I tell you that as being in this business, we've met a lot of musicians and celebrities. Lionel Richie might be one of just the kindest, nicest humans you could ever meet in person. Good. Such a good. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And years ago. But, like, there's only a few. Everybody gets excited about who we meet and everything. But we could tell you, like, 80% of them don't meet your heroes. If you really like somebody, don't meet them because you're going to be let down. We've talked about that. Megan and I were just talking about that at the Pistons game because there's certain people we idolize, But we don't want to meet them because we've heard it might not be the experience you want it to be. But I can tell you, like, without hesitation, Lionel Richie, Ed Sheeran. Oh, Ed Sheeran. Ludacris, when he was in here a couple times. Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters, the coolest human dude in the world. I mean, just so kind. And there's only a small list of those celebrities walking the planet Earth that are normal and cool in real life. Like, this weekend.

01:57:17 - 01:57:18 | Speaker 1:

Betty White was one of them.

01:57:18 - 01:57:33 | Speaker 5:

Betty White, universally liked. If someone said they didn't like Betty White, you look at them funny, there's something wrong with them. Dolly Parton is one of those. And there's just certain people that everybody likes them. Nobody can say something bad about The Rock.

01:57:34 - 01:57:36 | Speaker 1:

Didn't he used to be a huge jerk, though?

01:57:36 - 01:57:37 | Speaker 3:

I don't think he was a huge jerk.

01:57:37 - 01:57:38 | Speaker 1:

I love The Rock, I'm just saying.

01:57:39 - 01:57:47 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I feel like I've heard people say that. I heard when he was wrestling, and he was doing the wrestling thing, I heard that he was great with kids. Oh, really?

01:57:47 - 01:57:59 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, he would go do hospital visits and stuff. But, you know, like, there's just a small amount of celebrities that you think would just be down to earth, cool to hang out with, no ego. Ryan Reynolds? Ryan Reynolds, for sure. I hope so. For sure. Adam Sandler.

01:58:00 - 01:58:01 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Adam Sandler.

01:58:01 - 01:58:15 | Speaker 5:

Adam Sandler is the king of this. Like, he doesn't dress like a celebrity. He'll talk to anybody on the street. And Mojo and I, we watch the videos where he lives in New York. He'll just walk up to the public park and just join in a pickup game, a basketball with strangers.

01:58:15 - 01:58:22 | Speaker 2:

And his shorts, by the way, that he wears are the classic. They're like the longest basketball shorts, and he's just out there.

01:58:22 - 01:58:30 | Speaker 5:

And an hour later, there's 100 people crowded around this court watching because it's like, is that Adam Sandler? Yeah. And then he just walks home.

01:58:30 - 01:58:35 | Speaker 4:

Mojo, didn't you say Guy Fieri is that? He's so kind.

01:58:35 - 01:58:44 | Speaker 3:

So they're opening up that Guy's, what's the chicken place? Yeah. I'm so bad that I, what's it called? Crazy Chicken or something like that?

01:58:44 - 01:58:45 | Speaker 1:

That was called The Chicken Guy.

01:58:46 - 01:58:53 | Speaker 3:

It's called The Chicken Guy. Yep, you're right. The Chicken Guy. The Chicken Guy. It's going to be on Plymouth between Merriman and Middle Belt in Livonia.

01:58:53 - 01:58:55 | Speaker 5:

There's going to be a bunch of them by the end of the year.

01:58:55 - 01:59:25 | Speaker 3:

And friends, you know, are opening it with him. And so I get a chance to do a Zoom call with him. And I was running late to the Zoom call because I totally forgot about it. And I was having lunch with my wife. So I had to leave lunch, go into my car, and do the interview for my car. He could not have been nicer. He was such a good guy. And it's funny because his job started helping businesses, small businesses, be put on the map.

01:59:25 - 01:59:43 | Speaker 5:

Remember what he did for the union in Clarkson? Yeah, and during COVID, not just with the TV shows where he promoted all these great small restaurants, but then during COVID, he started a fund, a charity, and helped with millions of dollars. He helped keep a bunch of restaurants open That otherwise would have shuttered

01:59:43 - 01:59:52 | Speaker 4:

I'm glad he's a good dude Because I feel like he gets a bad rap sometimes Like people treat him like the Nickelback of celebrities Where they hate him for no reason There's no reason to not like him

01:59:52 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 5:

There's no reason to hate him Except he's flamboyant and a little quirky And I've heard people criticize him Because he's not a master chef

02:00:00 - 02:00:15 | Speaker 6:

And, you know, and, oh, when they record the show, he's not really driving across the country. You know, they'll drive. They'll bring his fancy car in on a flatbed and put it in front of the restaurant. Yeah, well, that's called Hollywood. Like, obviously, there's a cost of making shows. He's not they're not going to send him driving 3000 miles.

02:00:15 - 02:00:20 | Speaker 2:

No man has done more for local businesses than that man has.

02:00:20 - 02:00:30 | Speaker 5:

So can I tell you on the opposite end of the spectrum, the one that was most disappointing to me was James Corden. that James Corden turned out to be a complete a-hole. Did you meet him?

02:00:30 - 02:00:32 | Speaker 4:

No. You're talking about stories. No, the stories

02:00:32 - 02:00:55 | Speaker 5:

about him. First off, he stole from every radio show his bits because every radio show was doing these bits beforehand which I don't mind because everybody steals entertainment bits but then you'd hear stories that he was not a great guy and I was bummed because he looks like, kind of like how Guy Fieri is or Fieri. He looks like the everyman. Yeah, he looks cool, you know.

02:00:55 - 02:01:12 | Speaker 6:

But I'm going to keep it positive here and just ask for you to tell me the ones that you think are just awesome. Because there are three women that are the trifecta that I talk about with my girlfriend all the time that I always say, oh, my God, if I were single, I would try to date them in a heartbeat. Betty White? She says, so would I.

02:01:12 - 02:01:14 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I know one of yours. Mila Kunis.

02:01:14 - 02:01:30 | Speaker 6:

Mila Kunis, Emma Stone, and Jennifer Lawrence. They are just the coolest chicks in the world. They just seem like they would be so down to earth and awesome. I want to be their best friend. I have crushes on them. They just seem like they'd be really cool, like no ego, just cool people.

02:01:31 - 02:01:37 | Speaker 5:

Danielle, hi. Hi. Hi. Who are the celebrities that are, like, the greatest, nicest people?

02:01:38 - 02:01:41 | Speaker 2:

Almost every country artist in the world.

02:01:41 - 02:01:42 | Speaker 5:

Not every.

02:01:42 - 02:01:43 | Speaker 6:

Disagree.

02:01:43 - 02:01:44 | Speaker 3:

Disagree.

02:01:44 - 02:01:46 | Speaker 5:

A large percentage. No, bro.

02:01:46 - 02:01:48 | Speaker 3:

They were some of the rudest.

02:01:48 - 02:01:58 | Speaker 5:

No, in radio, if you talk to anybody that runs radio companies, They'll tell you country artists are the best artists. They are. Megan, who did you have a bad experience with?

02:01:59 - 02:02:12 | Speaker 3:

I'll text it to you, but I don't want to say it on the air because I don't think it's fair. But I can honestly say country people have the best perception without a doubt. But they are actually some of the most rudest. How about this?

02:02:12 - 02:02:18 | Speaker 5:

Country artists that wear cowboy hats are nice people. The ones that wear the baseball hats, maybe not so nice. I don't even know.

02:02:18 - 02:02:26 | Speaker 6:

Who is that? There's some that have. He's huge in country. There was one that was in the news last week for berating his bus driver. I can't think of who it was.

02:02:26 - 02:02:27 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I saw that.

02:02:27 - 02:02:33 | Speaker 6:

And he was just trashing this poor guy. And really, the stuff he was saying was horrible.

02:02:33 - 02:02:34 | Speaker 4:

I actually listened to the audio of that. Clay Walker.

02:02:35 - 02:02:36 | Speaker 6:

Clay Walker. Clay Walker was the one?

02:02:36 - 02:02:43 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it was Clay Walker. I will say this, too, about celebrities and stuff. Hockey players are always the nicest guys.

02:02:43 - 02:02:48 | Speaker 6:

Yes, of all the athletes. Oh, for sure. Of all the pro athletes, hockey players are always the nicest.

02:02:48 - 02:03:01 | Speaker 5:

They're the country music artists of sports. Unless you're Megan. I love hockey players. And you kind of throw Dylan Larkin under the bus a little bit for some things. What? I would never.

02:03:01 - 02:03:04 | Speaker 3:

I would never do that to him. You know how awkward it is?

02:03:04 - 02:03:21 | Speaker 5:

Anytime I see Dylan, I have to explain myself to him. I love him. I want to hear about the ones that you guys have met that were just the worst. I know. There's a long list of those ones. There's a long list. Listen, the Kid LAROI was an interesting.

02:03:21 - 02:03:25 | Speaker 4:

But to be fair, I don't think he even knew that he was the Kid LAROI.

02:03:26 - 02:03:33 | Speaker 3:

He was out. Macklemore was the nicest guy I've ever interviewed. He was amazing. And so was Lewis Capaldi.

02:03:33 - 02:03:38 | Speaker 5:

Oh, how about this one? Sandra, this here's a celebrity for you. Who is the nicest celebrity ever?

02:03:39 - 02:03:58 | Speaker 1:

I've met Sinbad. He's a comedian. Yeah, I know Sinbad. Yeah. And I'll be honest. I've met many artists and actresses, but it's how you approach them. You can't go screaming and hollering, gnashing and teeth if I look like you're about to attack them. You know, you've got to be mindful.

02:03:58 - 02:04:05 | Speaker 5:

Any artist that performs at the Hollywood Casino, you know, in Kalamazoo is a nice artist.

02:04:05 - 02:04:29 | Speaker 6:

One of my theories is that the older celebrities have had their ups and downs. They've been humbled because they've been through decades of no one caring either. And there's people like Sinbad or Lionel Richie Or when I met Tony Bennett Who's like 90 He was the nicest Because he also had 20 years of nobody caring about Tony Bennett He only had a revitalization in the 90s But through the 70s and 80s Nobody would even book him for a show

02:04:29 - 02:04:36 | Speaker 5:

He was bad to my wife's grandfather Danny When he did it backstage He was really kind of mean

02:04:36 - 02:04:38 | Speaker 6:

I took my ex-in-laws backstage

02:04:38 - 02:04:45 | Speaker 5:

And then remember what he did with Chad When Chad was doing the old the Mojo in the Morning Liner.

02:04:45 - 02:04:46 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh.

02:04:46 - 02:04:47 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah, yeah.

02:04:47 - 02:04:49 | Speaker 6:

Well, yeah, he was a little grumpy then. Yeah.

02:04:49 - 02:04:52 | Speaker 4:

But every, I mean, people are allowed to have a day.

02:04:52 - 02:04:54 | Speaker 5:

Here is Tony Bennett, by the way. Here is, hold on.

02:04:55 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 4:

When I come home to you, San Francisco.

02:05:00 - 02:05:08 | Speaker 1:

Your golden sun will shine for me Hi, this is Tony Bennett. More of Mojo in the Morning.

02:05:09 - 02:05:14 | Speaker 4:

02:05:14 - 02:05:21 | Speaker 1:

Hi, this is Tony Bennett. More of Mojo in the Morning is next on Channel 955.

02:05:21 - 02:05:23 | Speaker 4:

On Channel 955.

02:05:24 - 02:05:25 | Speaker 1:

That's what I just said.

02:05:25 - 02:05:41 | Speaker 6:

uh erin who is a nicest celebrity yeah so i'm a volunteer wish grantor for the make a wish foundation okay so you get to see these people more than anybody oh what's that john cena john

02:05:41 - 02:05:46 | Speaker 8:

cena that's great to know yeah he always looks like he's he's kind of a cool guy and a lot of

02:05:46 - 02:05:57 | Speaker 3:

these can you tell us a lot of these people will go do these things behind the scenes where they don't publicize it right there's a lot of celebrities will just go make a wish grant wishes and they're not looking to do it in front of cameras and put out a press release

02:05:57 - 02:06:14 | Speaker 6:

right absolutely and a lot of celebrities when they meet the kids they meet like a group of kids at once but john cena will actually just do one kid a day and the kid will spend the day with them so he spends a lot of time with the kids and and doesn't group them and he's just just

02:06:14 - 02:06:26 | Speaker 7:

wonderful i think and and i don't know for sure but i think i truly believe all wrestlers are are really, really good with celebrity-wise. They're really good with people and fans. DJ Shortstop

02:06:26 - 02:06:34 | Speaker 8:

hangs out with a lot of wrestlers, our mixer, and he's brought a bunch of them into the studio and stuff. They all were really kind people. What's up, Crazy Nikki?

02:06:35 - 02:06:36 | Speaker 11:

Hi, guys.

02:06:36 - 02:06:37 | Speaker 8:

Hey. Good morning.

02:06:37 - 02:06:48 | Speaker 11:

Yeah, so I met Jack Johnson at his concert in 2003 at Meadowbrook. He was the coolest guy. I hate you.

02:06:49 - 02:06:49 | Speaker 7:

No way.

02:06:50 - 02:07:09 | Speaker 11:

What? Very jealous. Yeah, so we, no, for over an hour, he, my sister brought her guitar. They were kind of super fans. He went through why he wrote the songs while his wife and kid were in, you know, the trailer. Meanwhile, Ben Harper is banging, you know, all these girls. It was pretty bad.

02:07:10 - 02:07:10 | Speaker 3:

Allegedly.

02:07:11 - 02:07:11 | Speaker 11:

Allegedly.

02:07:12 - 02:07:17 | Speaker 8:

Wow, that's cool. Jessica? Yeah. Who's a nice celebrity?

02:07:17 - 02:07:39 | Speaker 2:

My name's celebrity is Toby Keith. Oh, that's nice. He was doing a concert in town in Michigan, and my brother-in-law was working at the concert, and he said that Toby Keith stayed around hours after the concert, making sure that all of the fans got pictures or autographs from fans to janitors and all the way up.

02:07:39 - 02:07:40 | Speaker 8:

Love that.

02:07:40 - 02:07:42 | Speaker 2:

I love that, too. Every single person. He didn't turn anybody away.

02:07:43 - 02:07:55 | Speaker 8:

You know who you ask if a celebrity is nice or not? You ask the backstage people at Pie Knob. Yeah. Those are the people. The servers. Because the backstage people at Pie Knob will barbecue with them or will hang out on their trailer.

02:07:55 - 02:07:58 | Speaker 3:

Or they'll get told not to look at them directly in the eye, depending on who it is.

02:07:59 - 02:08:03 | Speaker 8:

Kendrick's going to ruin an image of somebody. You're going to say this person's nice?

02:08:04 - 02:08:08 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, yeah, absolutely. The nicest celebrity I've ever met was Simon Cowell.

02:08:09 - 02:08:09 | Speaker 8:

Unbelievable.

02:08:10 - 02:08:11 | Speaker 10:

You know what? I believe that.

02:08:11 - 02:08:14 | Speaker 8:

Because people say that he's kind of a...

02:08:15 - 02:08:34 | Speaker 5:

She sat down, had a cheeseburger, and two double Grey Goose on the rock. Oh, my God, I love her. Did you save her plate? I would have stolen her plate. Oh, right. 02:10:00 - 02:10:09 | Speaker 2:

He bought Girl Scout cookies from Spike's daughter. Yeah, he works out of our building sometimes, and he's always been very kind to everybody in the office, no matter who they are. Brad, what's up?

02:10:11 - 02:10:34 | Speaker 1:

Hey, what's happening, Mojo? I just wanted to give a shout-out to you as a kind celebrity. Oh, listen to you. We were at a fashion show a couple weeks ago. I believe it was for your son's high school, the lower school as well, and kids and adults alike were approaching you all night. And you were smiling, having fun, and just being kind.

02:10:34 - 02:10:36 | Speaker 2:

I had to because of my kid goes to school there.

02:10:37 - 02:10:40 | Speaker 1:

If my kid didn't go to school there, it would be all over, Brad.

02:10:40 - 02:10:41 | Speaker 2:

Thank you, buddy. I appreciate it.

02:10:41 - 02:10:43 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but he's almost done, and they're collecting tuition.

02:10:44 - 02:10:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that is true. That is so true. What happened to one of the show members when they got locked in their garage? Or in the garage. Not their garage, but the garage. We'll talk about that in Shannon with the Dirty, Spike with the Phone Scam.

02:10:59 - 02:11:11 | Speaker 1:

02:12:33 - 02:12:41 | Speaker 3:

02:12:42 - 02:14:14 | Speaker 4:

Hi What's up? Okay, so I got pulled over and the cop saw me on my phone he took i know your what did you say did he take your phone well he saw me snapchatting while i was driving so i told him that i was facetiming you because i was lost is he gonna call me is he gonna call me um i don't know maybe but so i told him i was facetiming you because i was lost but he wants to take my license away I know, because I have a few, I have, like, two tickets that I never told you about. So he wants to take my license away. What did you say? No, I mean, like, I was just, like, Snapchatting. I don't even know how he saw me, but I told him that I was FaceTiming you.

02:14:15 - 02:14:16 | Speaker 3:

Are you in the cop car?

02:14:19 - 02:14:35 | Speaker 4:

Julia, are you in the cop car? Um, I mean, I'm in the back of the cop car, but... Do you need me to come get you or what? Julia. Julia. What?

02:14:35 - 02:14:37 | Speaker 2:

Hey, hello, is this mom?

02:14:37 - 02:14:39 | Speaker 4:

Do you want me to come get you?

02:14:39 - 02:14:40 | Speaker 2:

Hello, is this Julia's mom?

02:14:41 - 02:14:42 | Speaker 3:

Yes, this is Julia's mom.

02:14:42 - 02:14:44 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Julia's mom. How you doing?

02:14:45 - 02:14:46 | Speaker 3:

Good, how are you?

02:14:46 - 02:14:51 | Speaker 2:

Good. This is the police officer that pulled over your daughter.

02:14:52 - 02:14:52 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

02:14:53 - 02:14:56 | Speaker 2:

Yes. She said that she was FaceTiming you. Is that true?

02:14:57 - 02:14:58 | Speaker 3:

Yes, she was lost.

02:14:59 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 2:

She was lost.

02:15:01 - 02:15:04 | Speaker 4:

Where is she at right now, sir? What city is she in?

02:15:05 - 02:15:07 | Speaker 3:

She's in the back of my police car right now.

02:15:07 - 02:15:12 | Speaker 4:

I understand that, but what city are you in? All right, do I need to come and get her, sir?

02:15:13 - 02:15:24 | Speaker 3:

No, you don't need to come and get her. You just vouched for her that she was actually FaceTiming you because that was what we wanted to make sure is that she was actually FaceTiming you and not doing some kind of social media shenanigans.

02:15:25 - 02:15:29 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I don't know about the social media shenanigans. No.

02:15:29 - 02:15:42 | Speaker 3:

But she was doing something legit. She said that she was trying to FaceTime you and that you are her mom and that you get lonely if you don't talk to her and that you kind of have some, you know, there's some issues there.

02:15:42 - 02:15:54 | Speaker 4:

I love my daughter, and she's a good kid. She's a great kid. She's an honor student up at Central. We just got her that car. Her birthday is in a couple weeks. She's going to be 21.

02:15:54 - 02:15:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh, man.

02:15:55 - 02:15:57 | Speaker 4:

I'm sick to my stomach.

02:15:57 - 02:15:58 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I'm sure you are.

02:15:58 - 02:16:01 | Speaker 4:

She's a good kid. I mean, she's doing an internship.

02:16:01 - 02:16:05 | Speaker 3:

She works two jobs. Yeah. Well, here's what we're going to do. We're going to let her off then.

02:16:06 - 02:16:07 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

02:16:07 - 02:16:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, we're going to let her off.

02:16:09 - 02:16:12 | Speaker 4:

Honest to God, sir. I mean, she really is a good kid.

02:16:12 - 02:16:15 | Speaker 3:

She seems like a good kid. She'd never lie. She wouldn't lie about this, right?

02:16:16 - 02:16:20 | Speaker 4:

No. Well, oh, my God. My heart's beating. I'm sick in my stomach.

02:16:20 - 02:16:33 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Well, listen, we're going to do this. We're going to let her off as long as you make a promise. I promise. Promise that you're not going to kill her for having you on Mojo in the Morning's Five Lies to Tell Your Mom.

02:16:34 - 02:16:38 | Speaker 4:

Are you kidding me? Am I on the air?

02:16:39 - 02:16:41 | Speaker 3:

You're on the radio right now, Mom.

02:16:41 - 02:16:54 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Mom. Oh, my God. Julie, I'm going to kill you. Why are you whispering? Oh, my God. Turn me away. I'm sorry, Mom.

02:16:54 - 02:17:04 | Speaker 3:

Mom, Julia just won a great prize for you. We're going to have a limo come to your house, pick you up, and take you out for an unbelievable night out, including dinner on us.

02:17:05 - 02:17:06 | Speaker 4:

It's fabulous.

02:17:06 - 02:17:09 | Speaker 3:

And you would never lie to a police officer, would you?

02:17:09 - 02:17:15 | Speaker 4:

No, you know, I wouldn't, but I'm going to strangle her. I don't know how she got me into that. I'm going to strangle her.

02:17:15 - 02:17:17 | Speaker 3:

All right, well, listen, we love you, Mom.

02:17:18 - 02:17:20 | Speaker 4:

Oh, tell her I love her, too.

02:17:20 - 02:17:24 | Speaker 3:

She's right there here. She's right here in the police car. Well, not in the police car with me. She's on the other phone line.

02:17:24 - 02:17:31 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. Hey, I wanted to win you a prize, though. Thank God this is not true.

02:17:32 - 02:17:36 | Speaker 3:

Julia, I am going to kill you.

02:17:36 - 02:17:38 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to kill you.

02:17:38 - 02:17:39 | Speaker 3:

We love you, Mom.

02:17:39 - 02:17:41 | Speaker 4:

All right, love you, too. Bye-bye.

02:17:42 - 02:17:44 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the Mornings.

02:17:44 - 02:17:44 | Speaker 4:

Five to three.

02:17:45 - 02:17:45 | Unknown:

Sweet.

02:17:46 - 02:17:55 | Speaker 3:

Five lies to tell your mama. Mojo in the Mornings, Dirty on the 30. Shannon's going to get us caught up on what's trending in the Dirty on the 30.

02:17:55 - 02:18:09 | Speaker 1:

The shooter who took the lives of three children and three staff members at the Covenant School in Nashville on Monday morning legally bought seven firearms, we're learning, although her parents were not aware those weapons were even in their home.

02:18:10 - 02:18:46 | Speaker 2:

We've interviewed the parents of Audrey Hale, and we've determined that Audrey bought seven firearms from five different local gun stores here legally they were legally purchased three of those weapons were used yesterday during this horrific tragedy that happened we know that they felt that she had one weapon and that she sold it she was under care doctors care for an emotional disorder that's

02:18:46 - 02:19:03 | Speaker 1:

Nashville police chief John Drake speaking yesterday. The shooter's parents say they saw her leave the house on Monday morning carrying a red bag and when they asked her what was in the bag she kind of just dismissed them and walked out the door and they didn't really think anything of it because they knew she had purchased a weapon but they also thought that she had sold that

02:19:03 - 02:19:23 | Speaker 2:

weapon so there was really no concern there. We also don't have a motive at this time. We feel that the students that were targeted were randomly targeted. There was not any particular student that they were, that she was looking for at the time of the incident.

02:19:24 - 02:19:51 | Speaker 1:

If you are following all of this Vanderpump Rules drama, a couple of updates for you. One, I'm hearing that security had to bring, be brought in for the Vanderpump Rules reunion And so because Andy Cohen just could not keep personalities and tempers under control. Also, Tom Sandoval opening up to the paparazzi yesterday about what he would have changed if he could go back and do all of this all over again.

02:19:51 - 02:19:57 | Speaker 2:

If you could go back and change everything that happened, would you go back and change it? It's always 20-20, man.

02:19:58 - 02:19:58 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:19:58 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 2:

That's all.

02:19:59 - 02:20:00 | Speaker 1:

By the way, he is a...

02:20:00 - 02:20:34 | Speaker 4:

Co-owner of two restaurants with his co-star Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval admitted that this drama has affected business. He said it's been rough. He said they say time heals all wounds, so we will have to see what happens. Over on another Bravo reality show, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah, her prison term has been reduced by one year. She's the one who got sentenced. She pleaded guilty to running like a telemarketing scheme that targeted senior citizens and swindled them out of like millions of dollars in the end.

02:20:34 - 02:20:37 | Speaker 3:

Robbed them out of their money so that she could live an extravagant life.

02:20:37 - 02:21:06 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so she was originally sentenced to six years in prison for a conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering. But she just got one year knocked off of that. Lil Wayne debunking this idea that his net worth is between $150 and $170 million, which, by the way, is listed by various websites. If you Google him, that's what it said. Well, this is from a recent episode of the podcast Culture Millennials.

02:21:08 - 02:21:23 | Speaker 5:

Honestly, I'm going to let everybody know. So when you go check net worth and be saying some crazy numbers, I don't have a cent close to that, but I guess they be meaning that's what I'm worth. So I be always calling my agent, like, I'm telling you, bro, I'm going to fire you because I don't need you on Google letting me know what I, you know what I mean?

02:21:24 - 02:21:25 | Speaker 4:

He said it is motivational.

02:21:26 - 02:21:40 | Speaker 2:

But all those lists they always put out, like Forbes and Money Magazine, all those, they're just random guesstimates because they're trying to figure out what their worth is based on, like, different products that they own a piece of and invest in and stuff, but they don't really know exactly what their business is.

02:21:40 - 02:22:05 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. And do you guys know who Mr. Beast is? Yeah. He's, like, a really popular YouTuber. If you don't know, well, he told a waitress recently that he was going to tip her a brand new car instead of cash in his latest viral TikTok. This is like one of the things that he does. OK, well, not everybody is impressed by his generosity. And I'll tell you why in just a second.

02:22:05 - 02:22:15 | Speaker 2:

Right over here, you'll see your brand new car. Are you serious? Yes. Oh, I wasn't expecting you to cry. I mean, this isn't real. No, it is real. Just hit the unlock button. Give a big voice.

02:22:17 - 02:22:21 | Speaker 1:

I was literally late to work today because the Uber was so hot. I'm like panicking.

02:22:21 - 02:22:25 | Speaker 4:

The waitress was excited. She's been having car trouble. She's been taking Uber to work.

02:22:25 - 02:22:26 | Speaker 1:

Enjoy the car.

02:22:26 - 02:22:45 | Speaker 4:

But people are saying, well, yeah, it's great, except the car was covered in ads and logos for all of Mr. Beast's products and his YouTube channel. So they're saying it wasn't really as nice as you think it was. I mean, I don't know. I don't know. It's still a car. That's what I said, too. For all the people slamming him, I'm like, wait a second. She needed a car.

02:22:45 - 02:22:48 | Speaker 3:

For a freebie, I'll drive the radio station van home every day.

02:22:48 - 02:22:53 | Speaker 4:

I can take that stuff off. For all of today's Dirties, check out the Dirty page on NojoInTheMorning.com.

02:22:54 - 02:23:01 | Speaker 2:

Get the stories you'll talk about all day on Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. And another phone scan in minutes.

02:23:03 - 02:23:44 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning show. We have a big event that is coming up here very soon. It is our Mojo in the Morning Naughty Moms Night Out. Yesterday, we went to do a little planning and got a chance to hang out with people at the hotel that we're going to be doing this at. It's going to be fun. So be listening for that coming up here in the next couple of weeks. But something happened to Lydia, who Lydia does on our show the phone screening, but she also does, you know, and helps us with our promotions and, you know, our charitable stuff and breaking into Christmas wish. So yesterday was you and I and Julie, and then I had to take off, but you got stuck in the parking garage?

02:23:44 - 02:24:22 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so you had left, and I had left about 20 minutes after you, and you had mentioned that you were a little bit tired. So I let you go on your way, and as I was walking out and entering the parking garage, I was really excited to get home because I wanted to take a nap too. and I pulled out of my parking spot. I'm ready to go out and I noticed I don't have my parking ticket. So I'm like, hmm, I'm pretty sure I set it in the cup holder. So I'm digging around, I'm looking, it's not there. So I back my car up and I pull it to the side and I'm like, who am I going to call? I'm like, I need help. And then, you know, I couldn't call you. I called my mom.

02:24:22 - 02:24:23 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you could have called me.

02:24:23 - 02:24:24 | Speaker 1:

I know, but.

02:24:24 - 02:24:27 | Speaker 3:

I would have helped you from sleeping at that particular moment.

02:24:27 - 02:24:55 | Speaker 1:

so I had to dig out of the inside of my car to find this ticket so I'm looking around I'm doing everything I can I was just thinking in my head I'm like am I gonna be stuck here what am I gonna do so I emptied out my whole center council I'm emptying out my glove box I'm digging under my seats I can't find it yeah until I open up my tote bag and what do I see it's like the golden ticket just sitting right in my tote bag it had been there the whole time it was there the whole time

02:24:55 - 02:25:19 | Speaker 3:

I always wonder when you go to the parking garage at the airport or if you're in. in a town like we were in Birmingham yesterday or Royal Oak or Grand Rapids, Toledo, and you get one of those parking tickets. If you don't have your parking ticket, what happens? Can you get out with your car, or do you have to pay a fee or something like that that's more than what you're supposed to be charged for parking?

02:25:19 - 02:25:35 | Speaker 6:

I think they charge you the highest rate for the day. Because I know it's the same with turnpikes, too. If you get off the Ohio turnpike and you don't have the little ticket, they charge you the highest, basically traveling the entire length of the highway. But what happens if you park- What about the airport?

02:25:35 - 02:25:39 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, what if you park at the airport and you're there for days? Right. Will they charge you-

02:25:39 - 02:25:40 | Speaker 5:

Will they charge you for a week or what do they do?

02:25:40 - 02:25:56 | Speaker 6:

Well, that one's different because they have the cameras now with the license plate readers. So they know how much. Like if you call, you don't have your ticket or you can't find the credit card you entered, they'll come and they'll type in your license plate number and they'll tell them- I did not know they had that. Yeah, tell them how long you stayed.

02:25:56 - 02:26:21 | Speaker 3:

Parking garages freak me out because I am always the person that is stuck at the front and can't get out. I think I told this story about being in Grand Rapids, like, what, a week or so ago when we were there. And I couldn't get my freaking credit card to fit into that. Nobody could. Something's wrong with that machine. Yeah, it was crazy. So, Lydia, the entire time that you're doing this, were you cussing my name out because I had left early?

02:26:21 - 02:26:30 | Speaker 1:

No, but I was a little bit, like, not disappointed, but I felt bummed out because I had no help, and you would probably be the closest person to me at that time.

02:26:30 - 02:26:34 | Speaker 3:

You could have called Shannon. She lived right by the place we were at yesterday.

02:26:34 - 02:26:36 | Speaker 1:

But how is Shannon going to bail me out of a parking garage?

02:26:36 - 02:26:43 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I would have broken you out. You know, I had a girlfriend go right through one of those gates one time. Really? Oh, my gosh. That is not recommended. I had her call in, remember?

02:26:43 - 02:26:50 | Speaker 3:

I've always wanted, honestly, to do that. That would be the greatest. Just drive through one of those gates. Don't do that.

02:26:50 - 02:26:55 | Speaker 1:

somebody's chasing you yes don't do it but now that i think about it like what could have you

02:26:55 - 02:27:36 | Speaker 3:

done for me too i know i know janna would have been better actually maybe i should replay it from earlier this morning in a little bit or you've got to go listen to the podcast but my experience leaving yesterday was a little different i actually ran into a lady who dropped her uh her sex toy out on the street bag she well yeah and it came and it came out of her bag but that was like exactly it came it it it came out shining uh shining in the sun too that was the other thing too it was a shiny one yes it was i didn't i didn't mention exactly what it looked like but it was one of those ones where i needed to put sunglasses on because it was uh it

02:27:36 - 02:27:58 | Speaker 5:

was shining am i the only person that is the biggest idiot you can just answer that question yes before i even continue that when i am leaving a parking garage or even when i'm going in sometimes i feel like even though they only give you a little bit of space i'm parked so far away that i have to undo my seatbelt roll down my window and open my door a little bit till maybe i just have short arms because i'm short and to lean over and put my they put them at an awkward

02:27:58 - 02:28:08 | Speaker 6:

angle yeah they're tough sometimes they're tough to exit you got to make a turn right before and you got to you try to get close to the box but there's all those concrete things 757 says you

02:28:08 - 02:28:28 | Speaker 3:

just pay the daily rate guys this is ridiculous what a dumb topic well okay well we were just And their number is 757-3... A couple other ones here. Lost my ticket, had the same exact thing happen to me at the airport. It's super expensive. What's going on, Adam? Hi.

02:28:29 - 02:28:35 | Speaker 4:

Hey, what's going on? Yeah, the way the credit card terminal works over at the airport, you put in your credit card. Now you can do that.

02:28:36 - 02:28:38 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. A lot of parking grudges do that now, too.

02:28:38 - 02:28:41 | Speaker 3:

But what if you lose your credit card while you were away on vacation?

02:28:42 - 02:28:47 | Speaker 4:

What if you run out of money and they try to charge that to the credit card? That's actually, I never thought about that.

02:28:47 - 02:28:57 | Speaker 3:

That's true. You can't spend as much on your card if you have, like, a limit. Yeah, be careful of that. Right through the gate. What do you think about that, Adam? Next time we just drive right through the gate?

02:28:58 - 02:28:59 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I would definitely do it.

02:29:00 - 02:29:01 | Speaker 3:

It would be so much fun.

02:29:02 - 02:29:03 | Speaker 6:

It's going to damage your car, too.

02:29:03 - 02:29:07 | Speaker 3:

Well, that's true. How about a rental car? To drive a rental car through the gate?

02:29:07 - 02:29:10 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I wouldn't do it with my personal car, but if I had a rental,

02:29:10 - 02:29:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, right through that gate. What's happening, Mojo in the Morning? Hello.

02:29:15 - 02:29:24 | Speaker 2:

Hey, I just was listening to you guys talk about the parking ticket stuff. Yeah. And I had an interesting story to tell about a time I tried to, like, get out of paying one of those.

02:29:25 - 02:29:25 | Speaker 3:

What did you do?

02:29:27 - 02:29:49 | Speaker 2:

Well, I just said that, well, I said I lost my ticket because I had been there for, like, two weeks. And I was like, oh, I said my daughter, which I don't have any kids. So I said, my daughter parked her car here or parked my car here, and I'm here to pick it up. and they know I don't have the ticket. And long story short, yeah, they have the, like, wait, they take a picture of, like, your license plate. So it was, like, almost 500 bucks.

02:29:50 - 02:29:51 | Speaker 3:

They caught you in your lie.

02:29:52 - 02:29:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, they did.

02:29:53 - 02:29:56 | Speaker 3:

Do you feel like it was karma getting back at you?

02:29:57 - 02:29:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, probably.

02:29:58 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Yeah. That's.

02:30:00 - 02:30:03 | Speaker 5:

It sucks, by the way, that there's technology nowadays, you know?

02:30:03 - 02:30:06 | Speaker 3:

Why does it suck? They're robbing a business.

02:30:07 - 02:30:10 | Speaker 5:

They're robbing us, charging us that much. They are at the airport.

02:30:10 - 02:30:11 | Speaker 4:

It is asinine.

02:30:11 - 02:30:19 | Speaker 3:

Oh, absolutely. But listen, that lady was just trying to beat the system, and we're like, that sucks that they have things to catch people. Well, guess who pays for those people?

02:30:19 - 02:30:23 | Speaker 5:

By the way, those people downtown, too, those parking garage, a lot of people.

02:30:23 - 02:30:24 | Speaker 4:

Also, highway robbery. Guys.

02:30:25 - 02:30:44 | Speaker 5:

Ridiculous how much they charge. Are you kidding me? Unbelievable. All right, Mojo in the Morning show. Mojo in the Morning, talking about the parking garages and where you lose your ticket. What do you do? Happened to Lydia yesterday. Lydia, you could have done what Jackie did. Hi, Jackie.

02:30:45 - 02:30:46 | Speaker 1:

Yep.

02:30:46 - 02:30:51 | Speaker 5:

Hi, Jackie. How did you get out of having to pay an exorbitant amount for parking?

02:30:52 - 02:31:08 | Speaker 1:

We went out and we had a couple drinks with my friends and I. and we had a DD, and I don't know what they were doing because they lost the ticket, and none of us wanted to pay for it. So one of my friends in the car just offered to flash the parking attendant. In return, we got out for free.

02:31:09 - 02:31:13 | Speaker 5:

Just showed off the boobies, and it got you. That's great.

02:31:13 - 02:31:14 | Speaker 1:

I mean, they were good, too.

02:31:16 - 02:31:18 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the morning. Tyler, how you doing?

02:31:18 - 02:31:19 | Speaker 6:

Hey, how's it going?

02:31:19 - 02:31:24 | Speaker 5:

Good. Tyler, what's happening? We were talking about being stuck in the parking garage.

02:31:25 - 02:31:50 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, so I work at a small architecture firm in Birmingham, and off of Peabody Street, there's a parking structure. And about once a week, we'll see that it'll be laying on the ground, the meter, basically. So people run through it about once a week. So recently, they just updated the system, and people are still having issues with it. So it's an issue with how you put your card in.

02:31:51 - 02:31:55 | Speaker 5:

Oh, wow. And so they'll just drive their car right through the thing. Does it damage their car, do you know?

02:31:56 - 02:32:04 | Speaker 6:

I haven't seen someone actually do it, but my coworkers have said that they do it. You know, it's Birmingham, so it's a little bougie here.

02:32:04 - 02:32:10 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, nice cars. I wouldn't be driving my nice car through that thing. How about Ari? This is wild. Ari, how you doing?

02:32:11 - 02:32:29 | Speaker 2:

Hey, good morning, guys. So my fiance owns a lot downtown, and they actually just got a gate, and people keep driving through it like it's nothing. Not only your people driving through it, but you have people that are still trying to sell, you know, spots when people are gone for the night. It's just wild. Wow.

02:32:29 - 02:32:38 | Speaker 5:

Wow. So they'll drive through the gate or they'll try to sell their spots because they buy a spot for a certain amount of time. And then what do they do? Just put a ticket or something in there?

02:32:38 - 02:32:46 | Speaker 2:

No. So they'll try to literally force open the gate. Like literally try to force open it so that they can like sell spots.

02:32:46 - 02:33:01 | Speaker 5:

Somebody texted us from Grand Rapids and said that parking is so expensive there and it costs them so much because they work downtown. So what they do is they wait for the person in the car ahead of them to pay for the parking and then quickly drive their butt through, hoping that the thing doesn't come down.

02:33:01 - 02:33:01 | Speaker 1:

You can do that?

02:33:02 - 02:33:05 | Speaker 3:

Well, yeah, there's a sensor on the pavement so it doesn't come down on the hood of your car.

02:33:05 - 02:33:05 | Speaker 4:

Oh.

02:33:06 - 02:33:07 | Speaker 3:

So it's got to be really tight.

02:33:08 - 02:33:08 | Speaker 4:

That's brilliant.

02:33:08 - 02:33:52 | Speaker 5:

By the way, that texter, hold on a second here. It says Mike from SNN. No. No idea what you're talking about. Mike, you know what you do? A little side hustle money. Don't you have a parking pass for the lot there from iHeart? Yeah. How much does Grand Rapids card you? Like $20? It was. Do it for $19. Loan it to people, and then what they have to do is they have to bring it back to you at the end of the day. Find a neighbor or something. Time now for a phone scam. Jason owns a small wildlife control company. He actually will trap and then relocate critters that are in people's homes. Spike is going to phone scam him this morning with a request to remove a dangerous wild animal, and we'll see how long he'll stay on the phone. It's a Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

02:33:53 - 02:33:57 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning. Your home of the world's famous phone scams.

02:34:00 - 02:34:04 | Speaker 4:

02:34:29 - 02:34:31 | Speaker 4:

And you get rid of squirrels too, huh?

02:34:33 - 02:34:35 | Speaker 1:

All sorts of wildlife. We handle it.

02:34:35 - 02:36:19 | Speaker 4:

All right. And it says here on your websites that you can also remove mice and moles. Yes. And you specialize in bats. Congratulations. Which of them do you think you might have a problem with? 02:38:24 - 02:38:28 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Jason, good morning. I hope you had your coffee. Your girlfriend wanted us to phone scam you.

02:38:29 - 02:38:32 | Speaker 7:

02:39:04 - 02:42:03 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning Show. So phone number is 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. The text is 95500 if you would like to get through to us and you got something fun to say. Maybe you want to just quickly text us and then have us call you back to come on the air with us. Or we can even just read your text if you want. But we like to have you on the air with us. We like your show participation. um so here's the question for for this topic has your significant other or you can actually put family member any family member ever cost you a job or promotion so my friend was telling me about an employee of his whose girlfriend went out to dinner with some clients and spent the entire time talking crap about her Thank you. boyfriend's company that she works for and it's a uh it's a mom and pop so the thing that the girlfriend didn't know was that the clients that were there that she was talking crap about about the company to and the employer to were friends of the owner of the company so everything that she had said they went right back to the owner and my buddy is actually the man the manager or the boss like he's the the guy that you know oversees this so he gets a phone call from the owner and says i think we got to do something with so and so and he's like oh what's what's going on i think so and so is great and he says well he brought his girlfriend to meet some of these people that are friends of mine who, you know, they, you know, are big time, you know, uh, contributors to us and, you know, started talking crap and it got all the way back. And I thought to myself, I'm like, Oh, you know where this happens a lot. It happens a lot where significant others, wives, even kids sometimes will be around their, you know, dad or mom's employer and not realize, that you've got to keep your inside voices, you know, low a little bit. Yeah, or your outside voices, right? Got to make sure you always keep your inside voices. Don't use your outside voices, as mom would say. Because if you're at home with your parents and your mom is saying or dad is saying, yeah, so-and-so is an a-hole, and then you bring the family to the company picnic, picnic and the kid ends up saying something oh that's the a-hole oh yeah about yeah that's where that's where you get yourself into trouble you should see me whenever i am around mike's kids i just sit there and grill them so what does your dad say about me i was like they've been

02:42:03 - 02:42:35 | Speaker 2:

they've been classically trained don't do not tell anything right um but uh you know it's wild that we see on the iHeartRadio music festival weekend that we go to and where we have gone to in the past, we see people that will bring their significant others there. And I'm like, man, their significant others will drink and get crazy and stuff. And I'm thinking to myself, man, you don't know who's the boss.

02:42:35 - 02:42:43 | Speaker 3:

Well, yeah, yeah. And then it's like double the chance of something bad happening, right? that could reflect poorly on you.

02:42:43 - 02:43:27 | Speaker 2:

I told this to Brad Harden, who's one of our big guys, one of our big bosses. I said to him, I go, because he had mentioned to me about the iHeartRadio Music Awards, and I said to him, I go, you know what? I said, those are just asking for trouble because people look at it as, I'm going to take a trip to go to L.A. to go hang out and have fun, and then they end up forgetting that they're actually there for work. Yeah. Right. You're there to do whatever, whether it be, you know, work the actual event, if you're lucky enough to do it, or work clients or, you know, like we have to do with our advertisers and do that whole thing. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Michelle?

02:43:28 - 02:43:29 | Unknown:

Yes.

02:43:29 - 02:43:35 | Speaker 2:

How did a significant other or a family member affect you on your job?

02:43:36 - 02:44:09 | Speaker 1:

I had, this was 25 years ago. So I was going for a corrections officer job in St. Clair County, and I went through the testing, like six interviews, and I had my multiple background checks. So I have an interview with the chief. I pretty well had the job, and then they did my final background check to discover. My husband at the time had a 12-page delinquent report that made a job.

02:44:10 - 02:44:12 | Speaker 3:

Were you aware of that about your husband?

02:44:13 - 02:44:50 | Speaker 1:

No, you know, most of it was traffic violations or driving under suspended or drunk driving. No, I did not. Oh, my gosh. No, I did not. Oh, gosh. I was absolutely crushed. I was absolutely crushed and I was embarrassed because someone within a sergeant is the one that offered me the job to begin with. And so when that pulled up and his only answer to me was, you know, screw those police and all of that. And I was like, you know what, since I were divorced, but it was embarrassing.

02:44:50 - 02:44:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's amazing that you also didn't know the extent of that. So that was probably good to know. Brad, how are you doing?

02:44:58 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 1:

Good, how are you?

02:44:59 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 2:

Good.

02:45:00 - 02:45:05 | Speaker 3:

We're talking about how you either lost a promotion, got fired from a job because of a family member.

02:45:07 - 02:45:13 | Speaker 5:

Yes. So, uh, ex-girlfriend of mine and I both worked at the same place.

02:45:14 - 02:45:30 | Speaker 3:

It was a restaurant and, um, turn your, turn your radio down real quick. Cause it's, it's, uh, even though I love to hear my voice, it'll mess you up. Yeah. It slows your talking down, and it makes you sound like you're having issues. But go ahead.

02:45:31 - 02:45:51 | Speaker 5:

Okay. So we got into a verbal argument. We worked at the same place as a restaurant. It was actually my day off. I was going up there on her lunch break to spend her lunch break with her. And then we got into the argument. I ended up in jail and ended up fired from my job.

02:45:51 - 02:45:54 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh. And where was this at? What restaurant?

02:45:55 - 02:45:56 | Speaker 5:

Oh, this was a big boy.

02:45:56 - 02:46:03 | Speaker 3:

Oh, man. Bob's big boy. Yeah. Wait, did you get cuffed out in front of the big boy statue?

02:46:05 - 02:46:09 | Speaker 5:

No, no. Luckily, they cuffed me in my driveway. That would be great, though.

02:46:09 - 02:46:16 | Speaker 2:

So it had to have been wild because I've seen some things at big boy. It's pretty wild at big boy. That's a normal day.

02:46:16 - 02:46:22 | Speaker 4:

Like, was it not even your argument? You just went over there and ended up getting involved in an argument that had nothing to do with you?

02:46:23 - 02:46:46 | Speaker 5:

No. Oh, so what happened was I was going up there to take her to get food on her lunch break, and I was late getting up there because I didn't have good service at my house. Right. And I got up there, and she was furious that I was late saying that she couldn't eat now because of me and this and that.

02:46:46 - 02:46:52 | Speaker 4:

So you got in an argument with her. Yeah. In front of her job. You sound like a nice guy.

02:46:52 - 02:47:49 | Speaker 3:

But they worked for the same place I remember back before I got married I remember bringing a girl that I met at a bar To the radio station Because I wanted to impress her I figured, you know, you come in and see all the equipment And stuff like that Maybe I'd get like a little oral or something out of the deal I mean, I thought that maybe it would make me look better Well, long story short Not about the oral part But long story short She ended up running into Todd Kavanaugh Who is my boss and she goes, and he was the midday guy also on the station, and she goes to Todd Kavanaugh, she goes I hate your show I was like, and this is a girl that I had just been kind of like messing around with and stuff like that, and Todd Kavanaugh didn't hold it against me, but he was like eh, I think you can do better but it was, I was very embarrassing well people do that with radio people all the time yeah, I don't like this they have no problem telling you what they don't like

02:47:49 - 02:47:56 | Speaker 4:

Usually you should screen that out before you bring her up to the station. Is she a fan? Because obviously that whole trying to impress her thing wasn't going to work.

02:47:56 - 02:48:02 | Speaker 3:

No, she was a fan of the station. She just hated Todd Kavanaugh's show. Yeah, she just didn't like Todd. What's going on, Amanda?

02:48:04 - 02:48:31 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I had a babysitting job, first job ever, and I ordered pizza for the little girl and me. And I was on the phone, and I told my friend, they said the pizza man's an a-hole. A week later, I get a call from the little girl's mom, And she said, so my daughter just called a piece of me in an a-hole. Whoops. I was no longer the babysitter. Yeah.

02:48:32 - 02:48:54 | Speaker 3:

If we fired babysitters for the things that our babysitters taught Luke over the years, we'd have no babysitters. I mean, Luke knows how to tarot card read. He knows how to gamble. He's learned some great swear words, how to fight. I mean, they were like the greatest time ever. But thank you for the call.

02:48:55 - 02:48:55 | Speaker 6:

Thank you.

02:48:56 - 02:49:06 | Speaker 3:

All right. Take care of yourself. So you are obsessed with that cup of yours over there. So that's not the Stanley Cup, but it's called the Stanley Cup. Is that what that is?

02:49:07 - 02:49:07 | Speaker 7:

Me?

02:49:07 - 02:49:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:49:08 - 02:49:17 | Speaker 7:

No, I don't have a Stanley Cup. Oh, I thought you were obsessed with it. No, I'm asking. I want to know what the obsession is with the Stanley Cup that everybody has.

02:49:17 - 02:49:18 | Speaker 4:

Because you have a Yeti.

02:49:18 - 02:49:19 | Speaker 3:

And you're not talking about.

02:49:19 - 02:49:21 | Speaker 7:

Well, I have a Planet Fitness water bottle right here.

02:49:21 - 02:49:26 | Speaker 3:

So the Stanley Cup is not the actual, you know, thing that we haven't hoisted in Detroit in a long time.

02:49:27 - 02:49:30 | Speaker 7:

No, I think Stanley. Oh, that was so unnecessary.

02:49:31 - 02:49:31 | Speaker 3:

You jerk.

02:49:31 - 02:49:33 | Speaker 4:

Well, it's true.

02:49:34 - 02:49:39 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God. I just don't get the Stanley Cup thing. It's humongous.

02:49:39 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 1:

I don't know how to carry that around all day. Yeah, I heard there's a rivalry between Stanley and there's a new one because apparently the Stanley Cup leaks. And a lot of girlies were getting real mad because, yes, it does fit into your cup holder, which I understand. We all need to be drinking more water. I get it. Sure, I get that. But if the lid is spilling.

02:50:00 - 02:50:02 | Speaker 7:

Why are you spending $100 on a cup?

02:50:02 - 02:50:04 | Speaker 8:

They're so expensive, too.

02:50:04 - 02:50:04 | Speaker 2:

How much are they?

02:50:05 - 02:50:06 | Speaker 8:

Aren't they like $40?

02:50:06 - 02:50:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, they're $45. $45. For people who don't know what we're talking about.

02:50:09 - 02:50:10 | Speaker 8:

Okay, Lydia has it.

02:50:11 - 02:50:15 | Speaker 2:

They're like Yetis, but they keep your stuff hot or cold for a long time.

02:50:15 - 02:50:22 | Speaker 8:

I walked into a room the other day, and this is not an exaggeration. Every single person was holding their Stanley Cup.

02:50:22 - 02:50:50 | Speaker 7:

It was eerie. $50 would tax on a receptacle that holds liquids, and it doesn't hold the liquids inside? What's the competitor? I'm hitting somebody. I can't remember what it is, but I know the Tic Tac girls are feuding right now. They are going off head-to-head on the features and which one's better because there's one that looks just like a Stanley, but the lid doesn't leak, and it also has a straw option that also doesn't leak, but it doesn't come in the range of colors. So there's a big...

02:50:50 - 02:50:57 | Speaker 4:

Okay. They do amazing things. It keeps things cold for 11 hours, iced for two days, and hot for seven hours. That's pretty great.

02:50:57 - 02:51:10 | Speaker 2:

You don't really need that, But, yeah, it's cool. But wait. It's just like the Yeti. I always wanted a Yeti because they're so cool, but I was not going to spend that money on a dumb thermos. But then Shannon was nice enough to get it for us for Christmas.

02:51:10 - 02:51:14 | Speaker 8:

But at least those Yetis are a normal size. No, the Yeti doesn't fit in the cup holder.

02:51:14 - 02:51:16 | Speaker 2:

They have different sizes. They have three different sizes.

02:51:16 - 02:51:37 | Speaker 7:

No, the Yeti that got everybody for Christmas fits in the cup holder. What are you talking about, Megan? The big ones? The big ones. The big Yetis that are the same size as the Stanley don't fit in the cup holder. If you don't think, I don't know all the details on all these cups. But I have a giant Yeti, too, but it does not fit in the cup holder. And the girlies were mad because with the little ones in the back seat, you got to have something that fits in the cup holder.

02:51:38 - 02:51:44 | Speaker 2:

Right. The big Stanleys, I think it's called Nice Flow, but it's 30 ounces. It's a giant tumbler. It's huge.

02:51:44 - 02:51:45 | Speaker 8:

It probably also doesn't cost.

02:51:45 - 02:51:48 | Speaker 7:

Does it have a handle? Because if it doesn't have a handle, it's useless.

02:51:48 - 02:52:02 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it has a handle. But you can get it for $31 now. They've gone down in price a little bit because everybody has generic ones now. Like, Target has a brand. REI has a really good brand. But everybody on TikTok is going crazy about the damn Stanleys.

02:52:03 - 02:52:12 | Speaker 3:

So they know for a fact that these things keep your drinks either hot or cold for 11-plus hours. Do we know what chemicals are now getting-

02:52:12 - 02:52:13 | Speaker 2:

Well, stainless steel inside.

02:52:13 - 02:52:15 | Speaker 3:

But how is it that the-

02:52:15 - 02:52:21 | Speaker 2:

Because it's insulated. It's in between the steel, there's space and-

02:52:21 - 02:52:24 | Speaker 8:

Simple Modern is the competitor. Interesting. Is that it, Megan? Does that sound familiar?

02:52:25 - 02:52:27 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, Sam. Yeah, yeah.

02:52:27 - 02:52:41 | Speaker 2:

Same with the cooler technology. It's just more space. You ever open a Yeti cooler and you can fit like a single hot dog inside? They're so small. Because there's so much insulation and space in between the exterior and the interior. That's what keeps the ice frozen for three days.

02:52:41 - 02:52:42 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Sam?

02:52:43 - 02:52:50 | Speaker 1:

Hey, I was just going to say, I get my Yetis. I go and get them from like a flea market down in Mexican town for like 30, 20 bucks at the most.

02:52:50 - 02:52:54 | Speaker 2:

Are they the real ones or are they the counterfeit? Or are they used?

02:52:55 - 02:52:57 | Speaker 1:

They're real. They're brand new right out the box.

02:52:57 - 02:52:58 | Speaker 2:

Really? It's Vetti with a B.

02:52:58 - 02:53:06 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, exactly. They somehow manage to get them on a discount price, and they're able to just go and sell them for half the price, basically.

02:53:06 - 02:53:12 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you know how they say don't put it in the dishwasher? It'll ruin the seal. They don't want you to put it in the dishwasher because the logo will come wash off with his face.

02:53:12 - 02:53:19 | Speaker 9:

But I am telling you, there is something about Stanley Cup people because look at the text. The people who are defending Stanley Cup are like, they will die.

02:53:19 - 02:53:23 | Speaker 3:

They will die for their Stanley Cup. Taylor's one of those. Taylor, you're a Stanley Cup girl?

02:53:24 - 02:53:25 | Speaker 5:

I am.

02:53:25 - 02:53:27 | Speaker 3:

And what's so good about it?

02:53:28 - 02:53:41 | Speaker 5:

You know what? I've never really been a big cup person, but I really like the Stanley Cup. I think it's the handle, but it fits in the cup holder. That's the thing, you know. I've had the same ice in my cup for two days now.

02:53:42 - 02:53:49 | Speaker 3:

You see? Wow. And it is that good. It's worth getting, worth spending $50 for that.

02:53:50 - 02:53:52 | Speaker 5:

I definitely think it is worth getting and spending the money.

02:53:53 - 02:53:58 | Speaker 2:

Are we really so lazy we only want to fill the cooler once a week? Like, we need to keep it for five days?

02:53:58 - 02:54:03 | Speaker 4:

I think we're a creature of habit, and so it's just a habit to have the same cup every day.

02:54:03 - 02:54:05 | Speaker 9:

As everybody else has. Is that what you mean?

02:54:06 - 02:54:11 | Speaker 4:

No, as like every day we have the same exact cup. Like, you have your routine. Oh, I see what you mean. You fill it up. You know what I mean?

02:54:11 - 02:54:17 | Speaker 3:

Hold on, Kim. Will you say that there's something better than Taylor's Stanley Cup? Yep.

02:54:17 - 02:54:25 | Speaker 6:

It's called the Arctic. R-T-I-C. That's what I have. Had it for three years. Bits in my cup holder, keeps ice for two days.

02:54:26 - 02:54:28 | Speaker 7:

But it doesn't have a handle, which drives me nuts.

02:54:29 - 02:54:32 | Speaker 6:

No, you're right. It doesn't have a handle, but I'm not a big fan of these.

02:54:32 - 02:54:36 | Speaker 3:

Do we know that it's good to have ice for two days like that?

02:54:36 - 02:54:52 | Speaker 2:

No, probably not. The ice is fine. It's what you talked about last week, Mojo, about how people aren't washing them. It doesn't matter if you keep the ice cold for four days. If you're using the same sipping thing for four days without washing it, that's disgusting. Do you know how much bacteria you're putting your lips on?

02:54:52 - 02:54:55 | Speaker 3:

Do you ever think about that, Kim or Taylor?

02:54:55 - 02:54:58 | Speaker 6:

No, I clean it every day.

02:54:58 - 02:55:00 | Speaker 3:

Then why do you need something?

02:55:00 - 02:55:04 | Speaker 8:

You're lying because you're excited that the ice is cold for three days.

02:55:05 - 02:55:17 | Speaker 4:

I said two days, first of all. If I don't empty it the night before, the ice is still here in the morning when I get up. But I do empty it. I clean it. I clean the straw. I listen to you guys every morning. My friend.

02:55:17 - 02:55:23 | Speaker 8:

So then why do you need something that keeps drinks cold for five days? You don't want to not wash it for five days.

02:55:23 - 02:55:28 | Speaker 4:

I don't. My point is it's better than a third of the price than Stanley or Yeti.

02:55:28 - 02:55:37 | Speaker 7:

Here's my thing I think you're not drinking enough liquids If you're letting it sit for that long of a period of time You need to get more liquids in your body

02:55:37 - 02:55:37 | Speaker 8:

That's my problem

02:55:37 - 02:55:41 | Speaker 4:

80 ounces of water a day, Mojo, stop Good, good for you

02:55:41 - 02:55:44 | Speaker 8:

I have like five containers in front of me I never finish any of them

02:55:44 - 02:55:59 | Speaker 6:

I spent $140 on a Yeti water bottle And I used that bad boy three times before I gave up First of all, it's heavy Second of all, it is hard to carry It was hard to clean I hated it I hated it. And I spent $140 on it.

02:56:00 - 02:56:11 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. You know what you need to do? You need to be like me and just do the old-fashioned buy one drink at Starbucks and keep reusing that cup over and over and over again. I call that the mojo instead of the Stanley.

02:56:12 - 02:56:20 | Speaker 8:

Well, the Stanley garbage is because they sent it to all the influencers. So you saw it flood your TikTok because everybody got them for free and they're getting paid to talk about it.

02:56:20 - 02:56:26 | Speaker 9:

Now, I appreciate this person. I can fit three white claws in my Stanley at one time. That is winning.

02:56:26 - 02:56:38 | Speaker 8:

what are you saying mike no i mean that's what we use those the most is like when you're drinking either at like a soccer event or camping or on the boat yeah um all right uh mojo in the morning

02:56:38 - 02:57:12 | Speaker 7:

show we're going to uh do a couple quick stories here follow up on that uh shooting at the uh school the christian school in nashville um yesterday the police cam came out and showed these heroic police officers going in and doing their job to stop the shooter. We've now gotten a chance to watch that video if you were able to watch it. It was just wild. And then also hearing from family members of the two police officers who looked like they were really young police officers who actually took down the shooter.

02:57:12 - 02:57:42 | Speaker 2:

Let's go! Body camera video shows the moment police charged into the Covenant Christian Elementary School racing toward the gunfire on the second floor. 14 minutes after the first 911 call and three minutes after entering the school, Officers Rex Engelbert and Michael Colazzo locate and kill the shooter. Officer Engelbert's brother watched the video, calling it harrowing and tragic.

02:57:42 - 02:57:49 | Speaker 3:

It made me very proud of my brother and just, uh, it's tragic for everyone involved.

02:57:49 - 02:58:09 | Speaker 2:

Police say this surveillance video shows the shooter, former student Audrey Hale, firing through the doors, moving through the halls. They say Hale, who identified as transgender, was under a doctor's care, being treated for an emotional disorder which had not been reported to authorities. Recently graduating from a local arts college, she's seen here talking about growing as an artist.

02:58:09 - 02:58:19 | Speaker 5:

It's been hard, but it's also been an amazing experience when it comes to developing my creative talents and growing as an artist.

02:58:19 - 02:58:38 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, her parents said that they knew that she had one gun but thought that she had sold it and knew that she should never have been able to buy guns in the condition that she was in. Here's ABC's Pierre Thomas, their chief White House correspondent or chief Washington, D.C. legal correspondent, talking about that.

02:58:38 - 02:59:28 | Speaker 1:

This is a rerun that many simply do not want to see again. Yet another person in a mental health crisis getting access to guns and slaughtering innocent people. The killer in this case had been diagnosed with an emotional disorder so concerning that the parents did not believe this person should have access to guns. The parents told police they knew about one firearm but thought it had been sold. But it turns out the shooter was hiding seven guns in the home that had been bought legally because the soon-to-be mass murderer had no criminal record. The police chief said his department had no knowledge any of this was happening. So when the shooter contacted a friend just minutes before the attack to say a suicide mission was imminent, it was far too late. Here we have another case where an increasingly suicidal and dangerous person is left with access to guns with nothing to stop them from going on a killing spree. Again, no connecting of dots.

02:59:29 - 02:59:58 | Speaker 7:

With the mental health crisis that we're faced with right now. Oh, my gosh. Actress Melissa Joan Hart, if you were ever a fan of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, she took to Instagram to say that her kids went to the school next to this Christian school. They were actually off that day because they were doing parent-teacher conferences, and she and her husband were on their way to the parent-teacher conference when they saw all the kids running out of the school and saw these little kindergartners crossing a major street.

02:59:58 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 6:

For those of you that know, I live in Nashville.

03:00:00 - 03:00:33 | Speaker 4:

what's been going on here today. My kids go to school right next to a school where there was a shooting today and we moved here from Connecticut where we were in a school a little ways down from Sandy Hook. So this is our second experience with a school shooting with our kids being in close proximity. Luckily we are all okay but my husband and I were on our way to school for conferences and we helped a class of kindergartners across a busy highway that were climbing out of the woods that were trying to escape the shooter situation at their school.

03:00:33 - 03:01:13 | Speaker 1:

Just like the Oxford shooting where people who lived in the homes around the school, this same situation happened where people that lived around that school took in a lot of the kids until the authorities were able to get to them, and then the families ended up getting called. We are celebrating the 25th anniversary of, ready for this, viagra it's the 25th five years yeah isn't it amazing and guess what with the 25th anniversary of viagra comes a competitor erectile dysfunction nasal spray stop yes doesn't compute to me

03:01:13 - 03:01:20 | Speaker 4:

sexy hold on let me get this going for us tonight so researchers in australia claim that they have

nasal spray for erectile dysfunction and it works ready for this in five minutes or

03:01:26 - 03:01:34 | Speaker 2:

less. Oh, see, that's a game changer because from what I understand, Viagra takes about a half hour to an hour to kick in.

03:01:34 - 03:01:36 | Speaker 1:

From what you understand? I've read on the internet.

03:01:38 - 03:01:42 | Speaker 2:

I've learned from people other than myself. I wish they

03:01:42 - 03:01:47 | Speaker 3:

had something like that for period cramps. Like a little nasal spray to take that away. I've taken

03:01:47 - 03:02:01 | Speaker 1:

Viagra before, and I'll be honest with you, it's not fun when you're by yourself. I took it thinking that Chelsea and I were going to have sex, only to not realize that Chelsea was going out with her girlfriends that night.

03:02:02 - 03:02:04 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's why I'm saying the nasal spray soap.

03:02:05 - 03:02:07 | Speaker 3:

Even if you're not aroused, is it

03:02:07 - 03:02:12 | Speaker 1:

just like... No, it won't go. You have to become aroused. Yes.

03:02:13 - 03:02:15 | Speaker 3:

She stayed out late. I fell

03:02:15 - 03:02:20 | Speaker 1:

asleep and by the time that, you know, anything could ever happen, it was already worn out.

03:02:20 - 03:02:27 | Speaker 4:

But isn't practically every nasal spray addicting? Remember that whole, like, aspirin craze where, like, women were taking aspirin for use?

03:02:28 - 03:02:47 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's because of the act of ingredients, not because of the act of spraying it in your nose. But why this would be good is because of the immediacy. Because, oh, we're definitely going to do it? Okay, now I'll use the nasal spray in five minutes. The pill you had to pop and guess, is this date going to go well? or whatever's going to happen.

03:02:47 - 03:02:51 | Speaker 1:

Shannon, you're 100% right. How come there isn't something for something simple

03:02:51 - 03:02:54 | Speaker 3:

that women deal with all the time, all day long?

03:02:54 - 03:03:09 | Speaker 1:

It's that we have new boner pills. Yes! There is a couple of new social media challenges that are now causing people to be like, what the hell? Have you heard about the one where people are putting buckets on the heads of strangers and then filming their reactions?

03:03:10 - 03:03:13 | Speaker 2:

Somebody's TikToks, man. It's asking for violence.

03:03:13 - 03:03:43 | Speaker 1:

They'll actually walk up to the person and just throw a bucket over their head. Like, you deserve to have your ass beat if you do something like that. And then another one where you deserve to have your ass beat, the TikTok trend where influencers, influencer wannabes are screaming, shouting, or singing so loud at concerts just to get the attention of the artists on stage. This is one Billie Eilish fan who did this at a concert and then somebody posted how obnoxious they were.

03:03:43 - 03:03:48 | Speaker 4:

To the person who thinks I can out-sing Billie and ruined all my videos.

03:04:00 - 03:04:01 | Speaker 2:

Listen to this one girl.

03:04:07 - 03:04:11 | Speaker 3:

I'm not afraid of you She thinks she's better than you

03:04:11 - 03:04:19 | Speaker 1:

You know, you're at a concert that you just got done If you go to like Taylor Swift paying crazy amount of money for And you got these people that are doing that

03:04:19 - 03:04:21 | Speaker 2:

Their own concert right next to

03:04:21 - 03:04:31 | Speaker 1:

Which I also hate at concerts when the artist puts the mic towards the crowd And tells them to start singing I'm like, I paid for you to sing I want to sit here and enjoy it or stand here and enjoy it

03:04:31 - 03:04:37 | Speaker 2:

I told the doctor that when he wanted me to cut Natalie's umbilical cord Hey, I paid you to do all the medical stuff

03:04:37 - 03:04:43 | Speaker 1:

Megan brought up a great point earlier this morning. The sign people are also the people that annoy you at a concert.

03:04:43 - 03:04:48 | Speaker 4:

I'll cut your sign up. I'll rip it up to shreds. I don't care how much glitter glue you used.

03:04:49 - 03:05:00 | Speaker 2:

And you were at all those Harry Styles concerts where everybody's got a Harry Styles marry me. Harry Styles helped me with my gender reveal. Harry Styles helped me come out of the closet. It's like, well, okay. They're fun little.

03:05:00 - 03:05:06 | Speaker 3:

moments in the concert, but if you're going to hold that sign up in front of me for an hour, I didn't get to see Harry Styles. Yeah, or I'll give

03:05:06 - 03:05:16 | Speaker 2:

you, you're allowed to hold it up in between songs if he's in your line of sight. Like, if he's looking at you. Otherwise, don't put it in the air. We will

03:05:16 - 03:05:20 | Speaker 4:

see you tomorrow morning. If you miss any portion of the show, go check it out on our podcast. Have a great day, guys.

I'm Mange Shachikular, and I'm back with a new season of my podcast, Skyline Drive. This time I talk to scientists, biopunks, curmudgeons, blues owners, super seniors, and Goa's top cryotherapy lab to try to understand this obsession with living forever and what it means for all of us. And I get into a bit of trouble along the way.

03:06:50 - 03:06:56 | Speaker 1:

I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. Make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know.

I am a sample. Long before I'm measured, long before I'm named. Each piece of me has a message, a nuanced role. When you look beyond the average, when you see where I belong, you see why I behave the way I do. When you start looking at my details, when you include my context, I start telling you the truth. I always had a story. You just needed a way to hear it. Every sample has a story. Learn more at 10xgenomics.com.
