We've all seen the headlines. Florida man wrestles alligator in a tuxedo or Florida man sues after finding toenails in his ice cream.

00:01:10 - 00:01:14 | Speaker 2:

It's easy to laugh at the meme, but have you ever wondered about the human behind the headline?

00:01:14 - 00:01:15 | Speaker 4:

Hey, I'm Frankie P.

00:01:16 - 00:01:20 | Speaker 2:

From interviews with real people who make Florida weird. I'm pulling it up, and as I'm pulling it up, I see an arm. Stop it. Come down.

I'm Mange Shachikular, and I'm back with a new season of my podcast, Skyline Drive. This time I talk to scientists, biopunks, curmudgeons, blues owners, super seniors, and Goa's top cryotherapy lab to try to understand this obsession with living forever and what it means for all of us. And I get into a bit of trouble along the way.

00:02:07 - 00:02:12 | Speaker 1:

I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. Make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know.

00:09:33 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 1:

I did some jazz hands for you.

00:09:35 - 00:09:48 | Speaker 6:

Thank you, thank you. Happy Friday. You know it's going to be a good day when we find out in our pre-show meeting that Megan slept in her shoes last night.

00:09:49 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 1:

But the word for this, it wasn't in a fun way.

00:09:53 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 6:

By the way, that's amazing. So either you had a really amazing day yesterday or a hell of a day yesterday.

00:10:00 - 00:10:07 | Speaker 4:

or you, for some reason, were so eager for today that you decided that you were going to sleep in the shoes so you didn't have to put them on this morning?

00:10:08 - 00:10:08 | Speaker 2:

Neither.

00:10:09 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 4:

No? Why did you sleep in your shoes?

00:10:12 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 2:

I have been so busy for, like, three weeks. It's driving me nuts. Actually, remember, some people pointed this out. Right before COVID happened, I said we were due for a new plague. I take full responsibility for COVID. But I'd like to rephrase that. i'd like a new mini plague i'd like an actual two-week plague this time uh because i need a little breaky break i'm very busy and i don't like it and i miss how not busy i was during covid because uh i was so exhausted yesterday i was so tired i didn't get home until super late i've been running around like a chicken with its head cut off for days and i i sat on my couch and i fell asleep with my dinner in my hands that I did not eat. My jeans were still on and buttoned. Not even unbuttoned. What were you thinking? My shoes were still on and I was sitting up. I feel like a 50 year old man.

00:11:07 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 4:

You were just sitting up too?

00:11:08 - 00:11:28 | Speaker 2:

Sitting up. Lights on. Head off to the side. My neck hurts so bad this week. My back hurts. My ankles hurt. I did not get good to sleep and I am in a bad mood. A bad, bad mood. And I have a long day ahead of me today. And I could cry. I could cry thinking about it.

00:11:28 - 00:11:30 | Speaker 4:

Welcome to being 30.

00:11:31 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 2:

I just feel like a 50-year-old man who got off of a 12-hour third shift at the factory and just chose to ignore his family.

00:11:40 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 4:

I've always wanted to know the people that are so crazy with their time that do sleep with their shoes on. Are there any people that are listening? Because when you said that, you had your shoes on, you're sleeping. All I kept thinking to myself was, I bet you that there's got to be a listener that for some reason sleeps with what they're going to wear to work that day and just gets up, brushes their teeth, and walks out the door.

00:12:02 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 1:

Can I tell you something? I know a mom, one of my great girlfriends, she's also my neighbor. She has four kids. And she said the mornings are just too crazy. And she goes to work as well right after she gets the kids off to school. So she has the kids sleep in what they're wearing to school every night. Oh, my gosh. Really? And in the morning, they just make breakfast. You know, they eat their breakfast, put their shoes on, and she sends them out to the bus stop.

00:12:24 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 2:

Well, I did the whole thing of if I leave my shoes on, I'm definitely not going to fall asleep. And I took a bet, and I lost that bet. But when I was in, I shouldn't admit this, but I will. When I was in Catholic schools, you wear, like, shorts and a T-shirt underneath your school uniform. And I slept in those shorts and T-shirts every single night. I just woke up, put my skirt over it. I had cut off the collar of a polo and sewed it into the sweater just threw the sweater on and just went to school like that every single day not actually wearing my proper uniform just

00:12:55 - 00:13:21 | Speaker 4:

whatever was easiest it's funny that you did that you did the whole cutting in stuff because Luke goes to a Catholic school and when they have mass day they have to wear these sweaters and he hates wearing dress shirts so I went upstairs to his room and I'm like what in the world he cut took He took a dress shirt and cut it so that he puts it just basically the collar over his head and then just has it there and everything else is done.

00:13:21 - 00:13:25 | Speaker 2:

It's a little dicky. But here's the thing. If you are looking for innovators.

00:13:25 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 4:

Did you say my son has a little dicky? That's what I said. Yeah, because that's what we had him for skiing, the little dicky. It's just the turtleneck part. Okay, the turtleneck part.

00:13:31 - 00:13:47 | Speaker 2:

If you are looking for innovators, you need to hire somebody who went to Catholic schools or any school with a uniform. Yeah. Because those kids know how to break the rules while still following the rules. Those kids are innovators when it comes to redesign of uniforms.

00:13:48 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 4:

What's going on, Helena?

00:13:50 - 00:14:00 | Speaker 3:

Hi. So my grandma would always sleep in a blazer sitting up with her shoes on. I never saw her sleep another way.

00:14:01 - 00:14:08 | Speaker 4:

Was it because she had some kind of acid reflux or something and she couldn't lay down? Or what was the story of why she would Be so properly dressed sleeping

00:14:08 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 3:

I have no idea Honestly she just She wouldn't sleep another way She'd sleep maybe two hours a night And then she'd be up the rest of the night Cleaning the house, cooking Working on work Yeah

00:14:22 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 4:

I would honestly be scared Like if I walked in a room and saw my old grandma Pretty much sitting in the chair there I'd wonder if she was okay I'd go feel for a pulse And Megan

00:14:33 - 00:14:36 | Speaker 2:

Just do a loud cough

00:14:36 - 00:14:43 | Speaker 4:

Did your brother Notice you sleeping like that Or was he not home last night He was not home

00:14:43 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 2:

I let Luke go to the Red Wings

00:14:48 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 4:

Game last night with his buddy And He and Evan Were like not coming home And I'm thinking I gotta stay up late And watch him And I went and looked at the game

00:15:00 - 00:15:02 | Speaker 5:

and it was like not even in the third period

00:15:00 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 4:

Thank you.

00:15:02 - 00:15:11 | Speaker 5:

and it was almost like 9.30 or something. And so I'm like, oh, I got to be responsible and stay up for him. Didn't. Fell asleep.

00:15:11 - 00:15:13 | Speaker 4:

And what a game, by the way.

00:15:13 - 00:15:17 | Speaker 5:

Well, I don't even know because I fell asleep, but he didn't get home until well after midnight.

00:15:17 - 00:15:30 | Speaker 4:

And I hate being a curmudgeon, but because of this job, we are the crankiest parents about teenagers staying out late. Because I'm not going to bed if my daughters are out in Detroit or something. and I want to make sure they get home safe.

00:15:31 - 00:15:33 | Speaker 5:

What's up, Chad? Hey. Yeah.

00:15:34 - 00:15:38 | Speaker 3:

Hey, I want to know if Megan had socks on under her shoes there.

00:15:39 - 00:15:41 | Speaker 5:

Did you have socks on underneath your shoes?

00:15:41 - 00:16:17 | Speaker 3:

Oh, somebody listens to the Slightly Messy show. So, yes, only because the shoes were still on. But if you listen to the Slightly Messy show, you learned about the basket that I have in essentially my living room where I can't sleep with socks on. It is the worst feeling in the entire world. and I have a basket that I will throw my socks in from my couch so that I don't have to wear them while I'm relaxing just in case I fall asleep or if I take a nap. But no, I had the socks on, which you would think that would have woken me up, but that's how tired I was. I didn't even get woken up by my socks still being on my legs.

00:16:17 - 00:16:19 | Speaker 5:

See, you can sleep with socks and shoes.

00:16:19 - 00:16:25 | Speaker 3:

And I hated it. And I woke up this morning and I seriously considered taking a shower because I hated how I felt.

00:16:25 - 00:16:32 | Speaker 5:

Do you practice your basketball shooting abilities, too, by not getting off the couch and hitting that basket from the couch?

00:16:32 - 00:16:35 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. I got really good at it. Like, really good at it.

00:16:35 - 00:16:44 | Speaker 4:

Chad's also heard us talk so many times about how Megan will never let us in her house. Now I'm realizing she's got a basket of dirty socks by the front door. I do. I do. Maybe I understand it now.

00:16:46 - 00:16:54 | Speaker 6:

We're going to take you back in the day. It's Mojo in the Mornings, back in the day. Tell us when this stuff happened.

00:16:54 - 00:17:02 | Speaker 5:

It was the year that Jamie Lynn Spears announced that she was ending her hit TV show, Zoe 101, due to her pregnancy.

00:17:02 - 00:17:16 | Speaker 1:

What was I going to do? I was a kid, and maybe this isn't my best interest, and maybe this is what I'm supposed to do, because, of course, I don't want to be, you know, hounded by the paparazzi, but it felt like I was really being alienated.

00:17:16 - 00:17:20 | Speaker 5:

Jeff Bezos launched the Amazon Kindle in this year.

00:17:20 - 00:17:27 | Speaker 2:

The company's electronic reading device at Kindle has sold in the millions since its debut in 2007. Amazon... Oh, hey, we just gave away these.

00:17:27 - 00:17:44 | Speaker 5:

Oh, God. And the song we just played a few moments ago, Umbrella. What year? All right, we'll be right back. Don't go anywhere. It's going to be a Friday, I think.

00:17:46 - 00:18:08 | Speaker 6:

What year did these things happen? Call us at 844 Mojo Live. To tell us, 844-665-6548. Snappling. When you laugh so hard, you snort. You might do that at Spike's phone scan. It's this morning at 6.50 on Mojo in the Morning. It's Mojo in the Morning's back in the day. What year was this?

00:18:09 - 00:18:15 | Speaker 5:

It was the year that Zoe 101 ended because Jamie Lynn Spears was pregnant.

00:18:15 - 00:18:19 | Speaker 1:

What was I going to do? I was a kid, and maybe this isn't my best interest.

00:18:19 - 00:18:22 | Speaker 5:

Jeff Bezos started the Kindle.

00:18:22 - 00:18:26 | Speaker 2:

The company's electronic reading device, the Kindle, has sold in the millions since its debut.

00:18:26 - 00:18:36 | Speaker 5:

And the big song. Umbrella. Sonia, what year was that?

00:18:37 - 00:18:39 | Speaker 3:

That was 2007.

00:18:39 - 00:19:41 | Speaker 5:

It was. Congratulations. I could ask you how you got it, but did you get it because you heard us play the clip? yes that is true you did okay yeah you know what why not it was uh a little mix of it i was the one that loaded in i didn't even hear it uh congratulations to you we're going to set you up with those dirks bentley tickets awesome thank you so much you're so welcome happy friday it's got to be happy friday thank god have a great weekend uh we're giving you a chance to win taylor swift tickets 6 30 and 9 30 so we'll do the pair right now a chance for you to win a pair of tickets text we'll do hero for the word right now hero h-e-r-o text that to 95500 and you have a chance to win tickets to see taylor eight um i don't know how many how many weeks until then it's like march i was trying to figure it out um it's got to be more than eight weeks For some reason, I thought it was eight weeks. Somebody said, is it eight weeks?

00:19:41 - 00:19:42 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no, no.

00:19:42 - 00:19:52 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it's more than eight weeks. Yeah, June. Okay. Yeah, June 9th. Whatever the thing is. So we got April, May, and then right at the beginning of June. So 70-some days.

00:19:52 - 00:19:54 | Speaker 3:

So like just over eight weeks, actually.

00:19:54 - 00:19:54 | Speaker 5:

All right.

00:19:54 - 00:19:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh, crap.

00:19:55 - 00:19:56 | Speaker 5:

Isn't that crazy? It's coming before you know it.

00:19:56 - 00:19:58 | Speaker 3:

Sorry, I just had a moment. I know. Good.

00:20:00 - 00:20:01 | Speaker 5:

Good luck to you. Text HERO to 95500.

00:20:03 - 00:20:05 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:20:05 - 00:20:08 | Speaker 5:

Man, a lot of breaking news came in late last night. What's going on?

00:20:08 - 00:20:43 | Speaker 3:

Well, former President Donald Trump has been indicted and faces more than 30 counts related to business fraud from a Manhattan grand jury, the DA's office. I mean, he's been investigating the former president in connection with his alleged role in a hush money payment scheme and cover-up involving adult film star Stormy Daniels That goes back to the 2016 presidential election. By the way, it is the first time in American history that a current or former president has faced criminal charges. This is ABC News political commentary, commentator, excuse me, John Ciantucci.

00:20:43 - 00:21:18 | Speaker 1:

I spoke to him right after news of that indictment. He called it political persecution, said it's an attack on our country, said they are trying to impact an election. obviously the election he's referring to 2024 he is the only candidate announced so far I then asked the former president do you plan to come to New York do you plan to turn yourself in he said take care of yourself John and he hung up on me he is absolutely planning to come though he doesn't want to be in court he's going to take every political bona fide he believes comes with it as one aide said to me do they release the mugshot we want to print that on a

t-shirt and added to our campaign roster. And here's the thing, the former president has vowed to keep running for the 2024 presidential race in the face of these criminal charges. In a statement, Trump yesterday said this is political persecution and election interference at the highest level in history. The Democrats have lied, cheated and stolen in their obsession with trying to get Trump. But now they've done the unthinkable, indicting a completely innocent person this is stormy daniels attorney speaking yesterday she wasn't surprised because

00:21:52 - 00:22:18 | Speaker 4:

i really do believe over the last three or four weeks particularly uh it was it seemed to be likely or inevitable that an indictment be returned uh really it's a fight against his rejection of truth and his manufacturing of stories that really uh motivated her uh to to try to cooperate in any way certainly to get the truth out and to have this jury

00:22:18 - 00:22:23 | Speaker 5:

at least. And that's a different attorney, right, than the guy that she initially had that, because that guy's in jail right now, right?

00:22:24 - 00:22:35 | Speaker 3:

Michael Avenatti. Yeah, yeah. By the way, I saw that she tweeted last night. Thank you to everybody for your support and love. I have so many messages coming in. I can't respond. Also, don't want to spill my champagne.

00:22:36 - 00:22:58 | Speaker 5:

By the way, they're saying Tuesday he will go to New York, be arraigned, and they're saying that the two reasons they wanted him to come today but the secret service said we can't get ready that fast and also i think new york couldn't get ready for what they are hoping is not going to be you know bad uh security stuff that will happen protests and things like that

00:22:58 - 00:23:45 | Speaker 3:

mama dune's 28 year old daughter tickety has been diagnosed with stage four cancer her this is honey boo boo's big sister by the way her diagnosis of stage four adrenal carcinoma came back in January she was having some stomach aches went to the doctor they did a bunch of tests and the test revealed cancer in her liver kidney and lung she is currently undergoing chemotherapy and her family is very hopeful that she'll pull through due to a really bad rainstorm Billie Eilish's gig in Mexico City on Wednesday was canceled at the very last minute and when I say at the last minute I really mean that the crowd was already assembled in the stadium the full sound and lighting rigs couldn't be used because of the downpour and the lightning, but Billie felt really bad for all of

00:23:45 - 00:24:08 | Speaker 7:

her fans. You know, they came to me and they said that I couldn't do the show and they were like, you gotta leave and they gotta go home. And I was like, no. I thought it was stupid for me to just leave without coming out here and saying thank you for being here and standing here in the pouring rain. I thought if it was okay, it's not a lot, but if you're down with me and Finneas singing like five acoustic songs or something.

00:24:09 - 00:24:17 | Speaker 3:

And she did. Her and Phineas both came out. I know. And by the way, the concert was rescheduled for last night. It happened last night.

00:24:22 - 00:24:29 | Speaker 5:

You go to those outdoor festivals and it's pouring rain. Could you imagine how awful that would have been? I've been out there.

00:24:29 - 00:24:42 | Speaker 6:

Lollapalooza. It's a swamp. Just mud, rain, lightning. And then we had to, they cleared Lollapalooza's field of over 100,000 people. And so everybody packs in the local bars. It's just a mess. I love how she did that.

00:24:43 - 00:24:45 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, Cardi B.

00:24:45 - 00:24:45 | Speaker 6:

What were you going to say, Megan?

00:24:46 - 00:24:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I was just going to say, I was at Voodoo Fest when it was downpouring. I thought it made the experience more fun. Cooler?

00:24:52 - 00:24:52 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

00:24:52 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 6:

Well, the only bummer is it can cut everybody's set short or some artists don't get to perform if that's who you went.

00:25:00 - 00:25:05 | Speaker 5:

to see, but in Billy's case, it's awesome because if they can make it to both nights, they get two shows for the price of one.

00:25:05 - 00:25:17 | Speaker 2:

Absolutely. And lastly, Cardi B has joined the voice cast of Paramount Plus' upcoming Baby Shark's big movie. She is going to play the rap icon, Sharky B.

00:25:17 - 00:25:23 | Speaker 1:

She's the biggest star in the whole wide water. She's Sharky B. You guys.

00:25:23 - 00:25:41 | Speaker 2:

I can't. And it's a family affair for Cardi. Her husband, Offset. Her daughter, Culture, her son Wave, they've all joined the cast as well. They're going to be joining Ashley Tisdale and Lance Bass, who round out the cast.

00:25:41 - 00:25:43 | Speaker 1:

Only on Nickelodeon.

00:25:44 - 00:25:57 | Speaker 2:

Baby Shark's big movie. It will premiere exclusively on Paramount Plus later this year. So that was like a little show. This is now a big movie. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on NojoInTheMorning.com.

well could you do it uh listen i'm not singling him out there's other students will also have to follow the conservation guidelines it's become a big problem but we do need you and his mother to talk to him about it and explain why he only gets one square per bathroom visit going forward

00:29:07 - 00:29:14 | Speaker 3:

well i i have no idea how i could explain that that it would make any sense to anyone with the

00:29:14 - 00:29:19 | Speaker 5:

brain i mean that's ridiculous you think it's ridiculous that he's using a whole roll of

00:29:19 - 00:29:30 | Speaker 3:

toilet paper every other day how do you know that i mean unless you've got somebody in there with him watching um that's ridiculous well we're not allowed to do that sir i know so how would you

00:29:30 - 00:29:35 | Speaker 5:

00:30:24 - 00:30:31 | Speaker 3:

Yes. That actually also is the name of the Tigers mascot. They're changing it this year. Uh, question number three, Gwyneth Paltrow won her court battle over a 2016 ski accident after a jury decided that it wasn't her fault. In what state did the collision occur? Utah. Correct. Yes. Search Mojo in the morning, wherever you get podcasts. Hopefully it's the iHeartRadio app. So I want to talk about this because I just don't know how he was able to get through it, but I was so happy with how he came back. My son just came back from a school retreat. He goes to a Catholic school, so it's called Kairos, and other Catholic school kids might know what it is because maybe they've gone on it before and had just an amazing time. And I'm not going to get into the stuff that came up with him because a lot of kids go to it, and it just becomes an unbelievable, life-changing moment. But one of the things I did want to get into was he went four days phone-less, phone-free for four days, which Chelsea and I think were most excited about. We were most excited about him getting closer to his faith, but I have to be perfectly honest with you. I don't think that you get closer to your faith unless you get rid of the phone for a little bit because that just takes up so much time. But as a guy who is on his phone constantly, I was sitting there thinking about how difficult that must have been. He said that it was wild. Did not have his phone and didn't even know what time it was at any time.

00:38:17 - 00:38:20 | Speaker 1:

And they took it, right? That was part of the retreat.

00:38:20 - 00:39:01 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, you had to leave. Actually, you had to leave it with them. So you gave it to them, and they locked up the phones in the school, and then they went off to the thing. But the thing with the time, that's another one, too. Not knowing what time it is is one of those things where it's like, oh, boy, what time? Like, I wouldn't know what that is. But I am on my phone constantly, and I am blown away by anyone that can do, like, a phone-free Friday. Are there any listeners that have ever tried that or done, like, a phone-free vacation or weekend? Or, Spike, you were telling me the guy that engineered our St. Patrick's Day broadcast that we had, he doesn't have a cell phone.

00:39:01 - 00:39:31 | Speaker 2:

And I thought that was amazing, not just on a personal level, but also the fact that he's an audio engineer and it's his business. Like, how do you maintain a business without it? Because it seems like you need to be on call. How do people contact him? I have no idea. Does he have a home phone? Well, our company contacts him through email back and forth, and that's it. And he's got his laptop. And then for that morning, we were told if we need anything in an emergency, they said to contact one of his workers.

00:39:32 - 00:39:38 | Speaker 1:

I actually don't know how you would function without owning a cell phone.

00:39:38 - 00:39:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I could do a day, give it up for a day. I don't know about a whole weekend.

00:39:43 - 00:39:50 | Speaker 1:

I couldn't navigate anywhere. That too, Megan. I would be lost. I'm so lost even with my phone.

00:39:50 - 00:39:56 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I didn't want to say it. I know. I had my phone taken away by my family when we went on a vacation a couple of years back.

00:39:57 - 00:40:27 | Speaker 2:

And I remember that we were going to send a search. party we thought you died it was unbelievable like i like it was really relaxing and then when after my surgery i went 60 days i think without it chelsea gave it back to me with 30 days left and i went 60 days and i will say this that it definitely was you know kind of tough at first but then you start realizing how relaxing it is because you don't have to sit there and because i spend most of my day i'll go looking looking at it looking at it you know what i mean it's funny

00:40:27 - 00:40:45 | Speaker 1:

because even without looking at social media and stuff I've traveled to countries in far remote places with no service I still look at it because I want to see my steps and I want to and I want to take pictures and like it's become part of our lives for 7 000 reasons yeah if I if I was

00:40:45 - 00:40:56 | Speaker 3:

somewhere with my kids with Lucy and Smith I think I could do it because that that's where I get really panicky without my phone like if they were with me and I knew that they were safe I could

00:40:56 - 00:41:07 | Speaker 2:

probably go a weekend without my phone see i say that but my kids bore me so but but with that said your kids might be different i don't know my kids do do not

00:41:07 - 00:41:14 | Speaker 3:

very much keep me on my toes but wendy what's up it's mojo in the morning good morning i was

00:41:14 - 00:41:35 | Speaker 4:

calling to let you know i'm a middle school teacher and very often at the end of the hour i'll just say okay here's your homework for the weekend they all grunt and groan and i say how about you choose two to four hours to not use any technology no phone no video games no no nothing at all and some of them actually do it and and the ones that do really enjoy it it's wild because

00:41:35 - 00:41:40 | Speaker 1:

you know it's the toughest punishment you can hand down as a parent is to take away phone privileges

00:41:40 - 00:41:45 | Speaker 3:

yeah that's a great prompt though like you hope that it plants a seed and like i said a few

00:41:45 - 00:41:50 | Speaker 4:

students do it they do and i sent an email home telling the parents i suggested it so that kind

00:41:50 - 00:42:21 | Speaker 2:

to help a little bit too oh yeah parents gotta love that i hate when my kids are on their phone because i don't you know get an opportunity to engage with them but um this i thought was an interesting story too that i read um dumb phones are on the rise for gen z's uh getting tired of smartphones and wanting to limit their screen time they're now calling the just regular phones that just have phone connection and text capabilities they're calling them dumb phones so and people

00:42:21 - 00:42:45 | Speaker 3:

want those again and it's like my dad read this story the other day and he sent it to me on facebook messenger which is always really funny when i get a message from him there um with a link but he's like look see and as now that i have an iphone my old phone's trending again or back in style whatever it's a big deal oh yeah my old boss's husband had a dumb phone And he was like, I can't call an Uber, but I can call a cab. And I was like, you know what? That's not what to have.

00:42:47 - 00:42:47 | Speaker 2:

Charity, what's up?

00:42:48 - 00:43:35 | Speaker 5:

Hey, I'm also a middle school teacher. And I have found that we have a lot of teachers that are also out of Canada. And so we have to use the WhatsApp to communicate in our learning community. Yeah. So for me, it's, you know, a double-edged sword because you're looking at your phone, but you're trying to be present with the kids. And Apple's new focus options has made it, I mean, a game changer because I can turn off everything but my WhatsApp or I have a high school student and I can keep his school on or, you know, just limit. And even to the point of, like, looking at my email icon, it won't show how many emails I have.

00:43:35 - 00:43:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's the best point you don't do.

00:43:36 - 00:44:08 | Speaker 5:

For me, that's, so for me, it's like a big deal because I'll look at it and I'll be like, I want to get rid of these, you know, I'm still type A. And, um, so to have it completely removed, have no number next to my text box, nothing until I click on the text message icon, I can see the text there, but it just eliminates everything. So, I mean, for me, you know, that's something that I've been encouraging my kids because you can, you know, label them differently. But there's personal work, you know, lots of different ways you can utilize it. But I think it's a great feature.

00:44:09 - 00:44:18 | Speaker 2:

That's awesome. Yeah. And you know what? Social media in general, just not having that at all. I mean, even if you could go social media free for a couple of days. What's up, Linda?

00:44:19 - 00:44:24 | Speaker 6:

Hi. I'm a first-time caller, and I am excited to talk to you guys this morning. Yay. Good morning.

00:44:24 - 00:44:25 | Speaker 3:

Happy Friday.

00:44:26 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 6:

Um, so my comment is, uh, where I live, um, something similar to Kairos is called the great banquet and, um, bless your son for going through that. I know how difficult it is, but for the phone situation, I mean, it was the most freeing weekend I have ever had. And, and I haven't had one since. So to not know what time it is, no one can contact you, but I did cry before I went because I'm like, what if my kids need me? But, you know, it was a great.

00:45:00 - 00:45:54 | Speaker 2:

experience and but there was here's the thing that i realized is if there's an emergency there's ways to get a hold of you obviously if you're doing it but knowing that if you've got everybody there with you like shannon said you know you got your kids and your family there with you that you're spending more quality time and not you know sitting there on your phone the entire time because how many times have we and this is for my family gone out to eat and everybody is on their phone and nobody's even paying attention to each other and so um but yeah that's that i i don't know necessarily when i can do this but that's the one thing i want to do is i want to try to do you know try to do a month where every friday it's a phone free friday because i always find fridays are the the days that are least important because we don't work the next morning but um all right it's mojo on the morning show and if you really loved us we join the show now this is Mojo in the morning. Mojo in the morning. So you thought you lost your dog?

00:45:55 - 00:46:50 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. I am the biggest idiot. So I am taking a little road trip with the kids this weekend. They don't know that I'm actually surprising them after the show today. And so I needed some place to put my little toy poodle, my little Charlie. And my dad loves having Charlie. And Charlie lives like a king at my dad's house. So it's like a perfect situation. So my mom helped me out and yesterday morning grabbed the dog from my house and dropped him off at my dad's house because it's on her way home. My parents are divorced, by the way, if you're a new listener to the show. So it was really, really nice that it works out this way. Well, yesterday I had kind of a long day and after the show, I had some appointments and stuff. I get home and anybody who has a dog for the most part knows that when you walk through that door it is the best feeling in the whole entire world to have your dog so excited to see you. Oh yeah.

00:46:51 - 00:46:53 | Speaker 2:

It's the only person excited to see you sometimes.

00:46:54 - 00:47:52 | Speaker 4:

So I just love having Charlie when I walk in through that garage door. He is his little butt shaking, his tail's wagging and he wants to go outside. He wants to play. so I get home yesterday and nothing it's quiet and I'm like well that's weird and I always get a little nervous because Charlie's 13 and a half like he's getting up there and I'm like oh god my mind instantly goes to I hope he's okay so I go over to the place where he has his little bed next to the vent because he always likes to sit you know and lay by the heat vent where it's warm no Charlie you guys I am like where in the heck is my dog and panic starts to set in So I start yelling for him all around the house thinking like maybe he was laying on the floor in Lucy's room or my room or something, walked through my whole entire house. Charlie, Charlie, where are you? Nothing. And then all of a sudden, like five to ten minutes later, okay, I'm like, oh, Charlie's not even here. He's at my dad's.

00:47:53 - 00:47:55 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you forgot that he was going over there. Oh, jeez.

00:47:55 - 00:47:59 | Speaker 4:

You guys, I literally about had a damn heart attack.

00:47:59 - 00:47:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:48:00 - 00:48:02 | Speaker 4:

And the dog was very well taken care of. He was good.

00:48:02 - 00:48:15 | Speaker 2:

at my house totally forgot yeah I always panic because I've done this before I've taken my I have two dogs that are like your dogs and I've taken them out to go to the bathroom and forgot one of them outside I have done that before too and well you only have one how do you forget one

00:48:15 - 00:48:39 | Speaker 4:

because I let him out and he um he literally like I let him out into the the backyard or even the front yard and he goes and he pees on his tree he might wander a little bit in the yard and then he comes right back and sits by the door to be let back in oh and so sometimes as he's doing that I'll go and you know make a coffee or throw a load of laundry in or whatever and then my brain just spaces and I'm like oh crap the dog's still outside I hear him barking you know wow I have

00:48:39 - 00:48:47 | Speaker 1:

done that before where you forget you put them out but I don't know how you forget I think it'd be harder to forget one of two because you're letting one in so you know there's another one

00:48:47 - 00:49:19 | Speaker 2:

well no they run in so fast you think that the other one ran in I think I think it's more I'm sorry I'm past judging I don't think I'm as bad a dog owner as she is she's only got one dog one dog you gotta forget about i mean come on how do you forget about one dog um mojo in the morning mike uh ali is getting closer and closer to that day and we were talking off the air about how um this is the time when she is so uncomfortable and doesn't want you know you all up on her right now

00:49:19 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 3:

yeah yeah which i get i mean this is third baby so i fully understand uh and try to empathize as much as i can um with with everything right now because she's at that we're two months away now like and she's uncomfortable if she she's laying in bed she's got eight million pillows around her and a pregnancy pillow and and i just basically don't touch and that's how it's going to be for the next two months and i get that i i get hobbies during these next two months yeah and so uh but what i found out is and what's happening the last like i don't know if it's the last two weeks or three weeks i in the middle of the night will just start touching her butt and i'll start

00:50:00 - 00:50:20 | Speaker 6:

like squeezing and rubbing and she'll have to wake me up and go mike what are you doing and i'll go i don't know and i'll fall right back asleep and it happens now all the it happened one night and i thought that was kind of weird i thought maybe i had a dream or something about it yeah but it's happening every single night now and i'm just she says i just rub i rub and squeeze

00:50:20 - 00:50:36 | Speaker 5:

her butt so the lack of the lack of physical contact because you guys you know are trying to to keep her comfortable has made you more physically touching her when you're sleeping i guess so i didn't know i did anything in my sleep you're not doing you're you're awake

00:50:36 - 00:50:44 | Speaker 6:

no i i mean i was awake once but no when this happens like in the middle of the night i'm not

00:50:44 - 00:51:11 | Speaker 5:

awake it's interesting i wonder what i wonder if other listeners do crazy stuff in their sleep like that and have no idea what they're doing in their uh in their sleep you'll have to call us up at 844 Mojo Live, 844-665-6548. The other two pregnancies for Cecily and Milo, was it also the same where it was coming up on the last, you know, five or six weeks or whatever, where you guys just, okay, don't touch me. I'm uncomfortable.

00:51:11 - 00:51:23 | Speaker 6:

If I'm being very honest, I don't remember. It feels like it all disappeared. Like all the memories of what happened leading up to this point. Like it all feels brand new. I know it's not, but it feels like it. You would remember that.

00:51:23 - 00:51:24 | Speaker 5:

Come on.

00:51:24 - 00:51:27 | Speaker 6:

I don't know that I was rubbing up on her like that.

00:51:27 - 00:51:50 | Speaker 5:

No, I'm talking about not having cookie bacon. I know I played a lot of video games. Did you? Yeah. Is that a common thing, too? Chelsea was like that, too. Chelsea did not. Some people say that you want to bake more cookies, but Chelsea was just uncomfortable. She was like, ugh. It's like, I just don't feel comfortable doing it.

00:51:50 - 00:51:55 | Speaker 2:

And you don't feel, like, sexy. You're just, ugh, yeah.

00:51:55 - 00:51:57 | Speaker 5:

What's going on? How you doing, Sam?

00:51:58 - 00:51:59 | Speaker 4:

Good. How are you guys?

00:51:59 - 00:52:00 | Speaker 5:

We're doing okay. What's up?

00:52:01 - 00:52:13 | Speaker 4:

So I am actually the pregnant one in the relationship, and I have a June baby on the way, and I actually find that I am the one doing a lot of dabbing in the middle of the night.

00:52:13 - 00:52:22 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah? All right. And is it subconscious? Are you aware that you're grabbing, or do you get told later?

00:52:24 - 00:52:36 | Speaker 4:

It's happened both ways, I guess. Sometimes I'll wake up because I'm getting kicked in the rib or something, or I'll get uncomfortable and I'll have to flip, and I'll realize, oh, whoops.

00:52:37 - 00:52:41 | Speaker 5:

Have you ever gone from grabbing to punching? You're getting kicked, you kick back?

00:52:42 - 00:52:48 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. I mean, not that I recall. It's not my fault if it has happened, because I was sleeping.

00:52:48 - 00:52:57 | Speaker 5:

Sam, when you were pregnant, did you feel like not having any kind of adult relations, baking cookies?

00:52:58 - 00:53:16 | Speaker 4:

Honestly, I think it was kind of opposite for me. Like, I think it actually helped me out in that aspect a little more. Really? Which is weird because a lot of my friends, like I said, are, you know, normally you're uncomfortable. You don't want to think about that stuff. Me, I'm like, I feel good right now. This is like, you know.

00:53:16 - 00:53:20 | Speaker 5:

And you know you can't get pregnant Because you already are

00:53:20 - 00:53:24 | Speaker 4:

Yeah that's how I got myself When I was predicting

00:53:24 - 00:53:40 | Speaker 5:

844 Mojo Live 844-665-6548 Text 95500 A few texters that are coming in to us this morning When I was pregnant I woke up and caught my husband Touching my boobs He was so obsessed with my pregnancy boobs

00:53:40 - 00:53:49 | Speaker 2:

I was obsessed with my pregnancy boobs too I actually had boobs I looked at myself in the mirror so much Just to see myself with boobs

00:53:49 - 00:54:04 | Speaker 5:

Oh my god, here's the texter With what I asked that question about Texter from 610 says I would get kicked by the baby And I would end up throwing punches afterwards My poor husband was getting hit All the time What's up, Laura?

00:54:05 - 00:54:38 | Speaker 3:

That kind of sounds like the situation My daughter's in right now She's eight months pregnant And the father You know, they're together and everything, and they're going through some things right now. She's like, if I see him one more time, she was like, I can't stand him. I can't stand for him to touch me. Can't stand for him to look at me. I'm like, are you kidding me? She was like, I swear I don't want to see him anymore. I don't want him to touch me at all. And I'm like, she's like, this hasn't happened before. I don't know what it is. I said, well, maybe you got caught up with the wrong guy.

00:54:39 - 00:54:48 | Speaker 5:

Oh, wow. That's pretty wild. So as she's gotten closer to delivering this baby, she wants to know, stay away from me, is what she's thinking.

00:54:49 - 00:54:52 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, she said, I still love you, but don't touch me right now.

00:54:52 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 6:

See, that's what I learned with the first, probably first and second, is that, like, there's this time right now where you just kind of back off.

00:55:00 - 00:55:29 | Speaker 3:

Like, where you just don't, like, she's uncomfortable all the time, and I want to touch her butt all the time. I just can't touch her butt all the time. And Sleepy Mike wants to touch her butt all the time. And, again, she's delivering at the beginning of June? Yeah, yeah. Wow. It's coming fast, man. Unbelievable. I want a trip to Disney. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:57:00 - 00:57:05 | Speaker 3:

Right now, Shannon with What's Trending in the Dirty on the 30. Got a phone scan from Spike coming up here in just a little bit.

00:57:06 - 00:57:17 | Speaker 2:

Well, Gwyneth Paltrow won her court battle over that 2016 ski collision at a Utah ski resort after a jury decided she was not at fault.

00:57:17 - 00:57:25 | Speaker 6:

Has the jury reached a verdict? Will you please hand it to the bailiff and the bailiff will bring it to me? Thank you. We'll now have the clerk read the verdict.

00:57:25 - 00:57:43 | Speaker 1:

Was Gwyneth Paltrow at fault? No. Was Terry Sanderson at fault? Yes. What percent of the fault do you assign to Terry Sanderson? 100%. What amount fairly compensates Gwyneth Paltrow

00:57:43 - 00:57:56 | Speaker 2:

for economic damages? $1. Dr. Terry Sanderson was seeking more than $300,000 as compensation for his injuries for broken ribs and a concussion. Here he is speaking after that verdict was read.

00:57:56 - 00:58:12 | Speaker 5:

Terry, wouldn't Paltrow touch you as she laughed? She did. Her exact words, I wish you well. Very kind of her. That's all she said? That's all she said. Okay, and did you respond? I said, thank you, dear. I said, thank you, dear.

00:58:12 - 00:58:21 | Speaker 2:

She leaned over and said, I wish you well before leaving the courtroom, which social media is very divided on, by the way. Is that polite, or was that just a polite F you?

00:58:21 - 00:58:28 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that was an FU. It could be either, right? It could be, I wish you well. Or it could be, I wish you well. I loved that. Watch your back.

00:58:29 - 00:59:22 | Speaker 2:

One person tweeted last night, someone celebrating with two cups of bone broth tonight. This could be a big story. Britney Spears was spotted without her wedding ring this week. Like, for the whole week. Not just one time. As rumors continue to fly that she and her husband, Sam Ashgari, are facing some issues in their marriage, she looked, and I mean, she just looked really out of sorts as she climbed out of the backseat of a chauffeured SUV just before boarding a private jet in L.A. on Tuesday. She's actually currently vacationing in Hawaii, not with her husband, but with her longtime manager, Cade, which if you follow her on Instagram, you know that she's in Hawaii. And, yes, Sam also ditched his wedding ring this week. Maybe they were swimming or something. Saw photo of him yesterday, out grocery shopping, and no ring.

00:59:22 - 00:59:28 | Speaker 3:

Maybe they're getting cleaned. They're at Lucido Fine Jewelry getting cleaned right now.

00:59:28 - 00:59:31 | Speaker 2:

You know, when I take my ring to Lucido, they clean it in about five minutes. That's right.

00:59:31 - 00:59:42 | Speaker 3:

Their brand new Birmingham boutique location. Do you like how I able to slip that right in there and do a little product placement? in the middle of your dirty. I like it.

00:59:42 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. Hi, Fran. This is a really sad, dirty story. Florida, his little boy, suffered some pretty serious injuries after falling from a fifth-floor window at a New Jersey apartment complex. His son, Zohar, who I believe is his son that was born with a rare neurological disorder.

01:00:00 - 01:00:14 | Speaker 1:

Remains in the ICU this morning after suffering injuries, fractures to his pelvis and his feet. He has a lacerated liver, collapsed lung, internal bleeding as a result of this fault. You guys, he fell from the fifth floor onto concrete.

01:00:14 - 01:00:18 | Speaker 2:

Is he parenting this child or is this in a strange relationship? I don't know.

01:00:18 - 01:00:23 | Speaker 1:

So I know mom is commenting, Zohar's mom, Alexis Adams, she's suing.

01:00:23 - 01:00:25 | Speaker 2:

They live in New Jersey and he's down in Miami, right? Right, right.

01:00:25 - 01:00:46 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I don't know what his involvement is here. I'll find out some more details about that for you. but mom is suing the apartment complex's owners and managers as well as the construction company who built this place and the window installation company. She is alleging that the building was fitted with windows that posed a hazardous condition, and so she wants his medical bills paid for.

01:00:46 - 01:00:59 | Speaker 2:

That always scares me, you know, when people are, like, in high-rises or in apartments and stuff and their kids are, like, playing by the windows. Like, how is there not safety precautions for that?

01:00:59 - 01:01:09 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, Houston native Megan Thee Stallion throwing out the first pitch for the Houston Astros opening day game. A little issue, though.

01:01:10 - 01:01:16 | Speaker 3:

As we get set for the opening pitch to be thrown out by Houston's own Megan Thee Stallion.

01:01:16 - 01:01:31 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so she takes the field. She was facing the wrong way on the mound. She was facing toward the outfield, and you can see her ask, Like, who am I throwing to before they turned her around and pointed to the catcher?

01:01:31 - 01:01:39 | Speaker 2:

There will be no better first pitch, though, than that 50-cent pitch that he did. Because that one just didn't seem like, I mean, maybe he did do it on purpose.

01:01:39 - 01:01:42 | Speaker 4:

He tried to claim he did it on purpose to go viral, but I don't know.

01:01:42 - 01:01:43 | Speaker 2:

It was so great.

01:01:43 - 01:01:47 | Speaker 1:

For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on NodinTheMorning.com.

01:01:47 - 01:01:55 | Speaker 2:

And no better run out to the mound to throw out the first pitch than me at that Mudhens game when I did the little dad walk or dad run out there.

01:01:56 - 01:02:07 | Speaker 4:

I thought KP was going to warn me before she'd started messing with the lights.

01:02:08 - 01:02:17 | Speaker 2:

I'm telling you, that's a sign I'm having a heart attack when my lights start going. KP just gave us some mood lighting for the videos here in the studio.

01:02:18 - 01:02:21 | Speaker 4:

The darker, the better. You can still see my face in the video. Turn it darker. I'm so picky.

01:02:22 - 01:02:25 | Speaker 2:

Wait, you can still see your face in the video because you're so pale. Is that why?

01:02:25 - 01:02:27 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I'm like the ghost in the night.

01:02:27 - 01:02:35 | Speaker 2:

I had somebody yesterday say to me, they're like, oh, my God, you got a great tan. I'm like, it's high blood pressure. It ain't a tan. What's going on? Kara.

01:02:36 - 01:02:37 | Speaker 3:

Hi.

01:02:37 - 01:02:45 | Speaker 2:

Hey. Good morning. Good morning. I got something that will raise your blood pressure. God, I'm the king of segues. That is just, come on. Wow.

01:02:46 - 01:02:47 | Speaker 1:

I am hungry. I'll give you a cup.

01:02:47 - 01:02:57 | Speaker 2:

I know. It's Friday. Back at you. Channel 955. Hey, we're qualifying you right now. you are in the running for a trip to Disney. Congratulations to you.

01:02:57 - 01:03:00 | Speaker 3:

Oh my gosh, thank you so much. I'm so excited.

01:03:00 - 01:03:52 | Speaker 2:

You are so welcome. Disney World and their new big ride that everybody is excited about. It is the new Tron Cycle Run presented by Enterprise. You are now qualified for a trip there and hopefully get on that ride, okay? Thank you so much. You're so welcome. Congrats to you. Hang on the phone. Have a fantastic weekend, Kara. You too. Thank you to Zot Ford in Holly, Michigan. We'll have another chance for you to win a $50 cash card courtesy of Zot Ford and then get qualified for that trip to Disney. So get ready for that. All right, it is Mojo in the morning. So you were texting back and forth with your girlfriend, Spike, and something strange happened that could potentially have caused for an issue in your relationship.

01:03:52 - 01:04:09 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it caused a little confusion. It could have been worse. But I use talk to text or voice to text all the time, especially when I'm driving. I don't know about you guys, but I just talk to my phone. I say, you know, text Natalie, ask her about dinner. You know, I just talk to my phone and let it.

01:04:10 - 01:04:13 | Speaker 2:

Have we become our parents? Because isn't that what the old people do?

01:04:13 - 01:04:17 | Speaker 4:

The olds do? I don't know if my parents could figure that out.

01:04:17 - 01:04:20 | Speaker 2:

Do the olds do voice to text or is that the youngs?

01:04:20 - 01:04:28 | Speaker 1:

I would say it's more the olds. See, to me, texting takes too long. Texting takes too long, so that's why I talk to text.

01:04:28 - 01:04:33 | Speaker 2:

The problem, though, is you know when I'm talking to text because it does punctuation marks that are appropriate.

01:04:35 - 01:04:38 | Speaker 4:

Everything's spelled right. Mojo must have been doing voice to text.

01:04:38 - 01:04:41 | Speaker 1:

You also need to know how large the font is on your phone.

01:04:41 - 01:04:55 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah, it drives me crazy when people change the font. I don't care how old I get. I'm never going to do that because it looks so horrible. I was like, Steve Jobs would roll over in his grave if he saw what you're doing to his beautiful technology.

01:04:55 - 01:04:58 | Speaker 2:

And people can read it from across the room if it's large enough.

01:04:58 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 4:

So I was...

01:05:00 - 01:06:44 | Speaker 1:

you know, just at the red light. And I, yesterday I was trying to tell Megan what time I'd be home and it almost broke us up. She got the strangest message from me. And then I went dark and didn't answer her for almost an hour. And it took me a minute to figure out what the hell happened when I finally came back to my phone and I, and I saw it, but what happened was I was just at the light outside planet fitness. And I was, I just texted her. I said, I'm leaving work at three, hitting the store and then i'll be home oh no that's her message to me okay my message to her was i'll be home around 3 30 or so found the cheater who ruined everything and wants you back no chance in hell honey it's justin right so she gets this and she replies say what and then i don't say anything for like almost an hour and then when i picked up my phone again i was in the gym after working out and i was like oh what the hell is this i looked at i go what is that i didn't type that and then i figured out when i was leaving her the voice to text i think it picked up the dj on the radio that was introducing just like because i was going who's justin and then i remembered when i was leaving the message i was rocking out to um the radio had justin timberlake cry me a river and so i think the dj was saying like here's a song about you know he found the cheater who ruined everything and oh you know they want oh my god no chance this is justin timberlake so i did not understand what this text was it took me a minute to figure out that it picked up the voice on my radio while i was leaving the message so it started with me saying i'll be home around 3 30 or so and then i paused and i must not have hit stop on the voice the new talk to

01:06:44 - 01:06:50 | Speaker 2:

text by the way i hate it freaking despise it with the yeah if you're not aware update the new

01:06:50 - 01:07:02 | Speaker 1:

operating system it leaves it on for you in case you want to continue talk to text yeah so it drives me nuts it keeps picking up more audio until you hit send so in this case it picked up the radio

01:07:02 - 01:07:27 | Speaker 4:

dj introducing the song before i hit send right does has that ever burned you because uh has that ever gotten you you know got you to say something that you weren't supposed to be saying at that time that you thought that your talk to text was over with you'll have to call us up 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 that is classic by the way you couldn't ask for probably a more random like

01:07:27 - 01:07:34 | Speaker 1:

found the cheater it's justin she's like what what are you talking about i told you the story

01:07:34 - 01:08:04 | Speaker 2:

about my friend Katie who she has a little girl who's like three years old and it this new talk to text burned her because she was um texting her son's teacher about something and then turned into the into the back seat to talk to her her little girl and was like oh baby you are the sweetest girl I just love you so much you are a princess you are beautiful I love you whatever you know baby voice she was using and it translated into text to her son's teacher which was so weird

01:08:04 - 01:08:16 | Speaker 4:

that's an awkward parent teacher conference what's up tiffany hey good morning fellas morning what's going on fellas and ladies what's going on girls and gals what's going on exactly

01:08:16 - 01:08:35 | Speaker 3:

no my mom does the same thing like she does the voice the text and her messages don't come out clear at all so if i like call her back to see what she's trying to say she yells at me and says i should know what she's trying to say it's your fault for not interpreting correctly exactly

01:08:35 - 01:09:08 | Speaker 5:

exactly uh thank you for the call appreciate it tiffany what's up pete yo so two years ago i had my new boss she had just come in she was coming in and doing stuff and then was leaving and sent to text voice the text right as she was finishing up somebody cut her off so she said hey thanks a lot a-hole and i was like you know i've been called worse by less you know and she's oh my god now one of my best friends in the world but yeah it started with uh with a voice to text a-hole you know what

01:09:08 - 01:09:16 | Speaker 4:

pete i want to know this why is it that i can't spell in my own personal texting swear words but

01:09:16 - 01:09:29 | Speaker 5:

if i voice to text it it will do it yeah i don't know it will do it but it's on mine because i gotta i gotta i have a smarter phone so mine actually blocks everything out so just star star star oh

01:09:29 - 01:09:35 | Speaker 4:

really really wait do you have a lot of people that swear at you that you have to do that a lot

01:09:35 - 01:09:44 | Speaker 5:

of people swear at me i work in the medical field everybody's everybody's swearing at you that must be a good setting to have crap hey what are you doing what are you doing all right guys have a

01:09:44 - 01:09:54 | Speaker 1:

My phone just finally realized I'm not talking about ducks and ducking and it just finally realized, okay, we'll just give you the word you want.

01:09:55 - 01:09:58 | Speaker 4:

See, mine doesn't do it on text. It only will do it for the voice thing.

01:09:58 - 01:09:58 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:09:59 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 4:

And it really irritates.

01:10:00 - 01:10:29 | Speaker 3:

me and it and so i'll have to like correct it a couple of times or do the voice to text at that particular time yeah but in in my car you know what's amazing the uh chevy tahoe that i have chevy's you know apple play or whatever it is does an amazing job it does stellar job because you have a gm product too right you have a buick yeah stellar job of texting and doing the voice to text thing which honestly is so much safer i think it might just be that airplay app because

01:10:29 - 01:10:36 | Speaker 1:

i have it in the kia too it does it really it's a game changer yeah except for the new update that

01:10:36 - 01:10:45 | Speaker 3:

picks up radio djs chandelle yes what's happening not much chandelle have you ever had voice to text

01:10:45 - 01:11:22 | Speaker 6:

kind of burn you yeah a little bit so um i used to be a flatbed truck driver and i had hurt my back so i had uh i was texting my safety manager using voice to text and what i meant to what i said was i will let you know if i can't work and it changed it changed it to i will let you know if i can twerk wait what that would be a funny one too to send that's great um that's the other that's the other

01:11:22 - 01:11:51 | Speaker 3:

thing with voice to text i think that it knows that i have a speech impediment because it doesn't pick up exactly what i'm saying sometimes and it screws me up but you know i will say this i use the voice to write uh letters to people or emails or like like you know if i'm having to write like because my punctuation and all that stuff is so bad and it's faster and it's so much faster i know and to be perfectly honest with you i look smart when i do it except for when i say something and

01:11:51 - 01:12:29 | Speaker 4:

it doesn't pick up the word listener Megan what's up yes yes so I my dad was wondering how they've poured some concrete on our front porch in a house we just built so I sent him a video and he wrote me back oh I see how they did it now that's cool no no no you mother effer no no no so I immediately text him back are you okay and he was like yeah why so I called well I guess his cat had jumped on the counter and knocked a whole bunch of stuff off. And he sent it to me. He had no idea. So I screenshotted it. We take it out every now and then to look at it because it was hilarious.

01:12:29 - 01:12:31 | Speaker 3:

Your dad loves that cat, doesn't he?

01:12:31 - 01:12:35 | Speaker 4:

Oh, he knows it's an outdoor cat now. And it just looks at him through the windows every night.

01:12:37 - 01:12:39 | Speaker 3:

All because of that one moment or no?

01:12:39 - 01:12:42 | Speaker 4:

Multiple moments like that. And then he had enough one day and he threw it out.

01:12:42 - 01:13:12 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Wow. All right. All right, Mojo in the Morning, you're home of the phone scams. Tony got a new puppy, and it's been like a total headache because the dog got sick and racked up some vet bills. The pet store said that they would take care of the vet visit, but then Spike called and told him that he was responsible for a $1,200 bill. It's a classic Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

01:13:13 - 01:13:27 | Speaker 5:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scams. Mojo in the morning. This is Tony.

01:13:27 - 01:13:28 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Tony.

01:13:29 - 01:13:29 | Speaker 5:

Yes, sir.

01:13:30 - 01:13:33 | Speaker 2:

Tony, this is Clubber Lang over at the pet store.

01:13:34 - 01:13:35 | Speaker 5:

Oh, good morning. How are you doing?

01:13:35 - 01:13:36 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. How's the dog doing?

01:13:37 - 01:13:41 | Speaker 5:

Much, much better. Thank you. I really appreciate you guys taking care of everything.

01:13:42 - 01:13:50 | Speaker 2:

Well, actually, that's why I'm calling. I talked to the people over at the veterinarian hospital. and they said that we're not responsible for getting the dog sick.

01:13:52 - 01:13:56 | Speaker 5:

That, wait a minute, what do you mean you're not responsible?

01:13:58 - 01:14:00 | Speaker 2:

They said that you must have exposed the dog to another sick dog.

01:14:01 - 01:14:10 | Speaker 5:

Ah, no, that would not be the case. We only had, you remember when we bought the dog, we'd had the dog for four days.

01:14:10 - 01:14:21 | Speaker 2:

Right, but your vet talked to my vet and they agreed that the dog was in good health when it was taken home from our pet store, and therefore we're not paying the vet bills as we first agreed to when we received your complaint.

01:14:22 - 01:14:27 | Speaker 5:

How could they agree that the dog was in good health when it left your pet store?

01:14:27 - 01:14:31 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I leave it to the professionals, and I talk to the doctors. They said no deal.

01:14:32 - 01:14:41 | Speaker 5:

Well, hang on, buddy. That's not the way it works. The exposure came from all the dogs there at the pet store.

01:14:41 - 01:14:44 | Speaker 2:

But none of our dogs are sick. We had nothing to do with it. You were the irresponsible party.

01:14:45 - 01:14:57 | Speaker 5:

Isn't there some kind of guarantee on the dogs when they leave the store? I mean, I didn't read all the fine print on this contract, but somewhere here there has got to be some kind of guarantee.

01:14:58 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 2:

Well, any good company would.

01:15:00 - 01:15:08 | Speaker 3:

Honor, you know, obviously, if you got a dog that was in poor health, we would take care of that. But we have a very knowledgeable staff, and your dog wasn't sick when you got it from the store.

01:15:10 - 01:15:21 | Speaker 4:

You know, I have to say, this is bulls**t. This is bulls**t. We'll take you, I mean, I don't even, this is not even small claims. $1,200 we're talking about here.

01:15:21 - 01:15:24 | Speaker 3:

Well, we're not paying you kibbles and bits. I mean, what are you going to do about it, tough guy?

01:15:27 - 01:15:29 | Speaker 4:

Now, who am I talking to again?

01:15:30 - 01:15:35 | Speaker 3:

My name's Clubber Lang. I'm the manager. I think you were talking to my associate, Charles.

01:15:36 - 01:15:36 | Speaker 4:

You're the manager?

01:15:37 - 01:15:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:15:37 - 01:15:38 | Speaker 4:

And you talk to me like that?

01:15:39 - 01:15:54 | Speaker 3:

Well, we see people all the time trying to, you know, weasel us out of money and try and get a free pet. You know how it works. This isn't the SPCA. You want to do charity work, take a dog from the SPCA. You want to pay for a dog that's been bred for quality and health, then you come here.

01:15:54 - 01:16:25 | Speaker 4:

all right um i you know what i'm at work right now i don't have time for this but i would here's what we will do we will have our lawyer contact your store tomorrow please do and i'll tell the same thing i told you you have to understand that anytime you run a place like that where you have all those dogs that your license is the only thing you want you have if we get you shut down You'd have to prove... A lot more than $1,200.

01:16:26 - 01:16:42 | Speaker 3:

We have over 40 dogs, and none of them have a sniffle. So how are you going to say that our dog's got you sick? Your dog was in poor health after you took it home, and you must have exposed it to some by now. All right, all right, all right. I'm not paying you or your wife one cent for that stupid dog, and I don't want to see the bitch in my store again.

01:16:43 - 01:16:43 | Speaker 4:

I'm going...

01:16:43 - 01:16:44 | Speaker 3:

Or your dog, either.

01:16:45 - 01:16:47 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to have to get off the phone now because I'm at work.

01:16:47 - 01:16:59 | Speaker 3:

All right, do whatever you got to do, Rambo. Have your team of lawyers call me. Hey, f*** you. And don't bring your disease down here, because you already hurt one dog with whatever it is you're spreading. Okay. And you know what I'll tell your lawyers when they call?

01:17:00 - 01:17:00 | Speaker 4:

Are we done?

01:17:01 - 01:17:04 | Speaker 3:

I'll tell them you've just been the victim of a Mojo on the Morning phone scan.

01:17:05 - 01:17:06 | Unknown:

Say that again, please.

01:17:07 - 01:17:15 | Speaker 3:

01:17:42 - 01:17:44 | Speaker 3:

01:17:44 - 01:17:46 | Speaker 4:

That's how I feel.

01:29:07 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 5:

It's been crazy. People, by the way, on the iHeartRadio app, if you have issues with the app, obviously we want you to stay on whatever station that you listen to normally. But if you have issues, you can go to the other stations and try to see if the other stations, like Channel 955 or 4.5 SNX. Not just any other stations. 92.5 KISS FM. No, don't go to another radio station. But we have three. Basically, there's hopefully a two out of three shot that we're actually on one of those stations because today we've been having some issues with that. We had issues with the signal yesterday. Got issues with the app. it's mercury retrograde in a non-mercury retrograde time you're jinxing it just crazy so so please don't leave us just because of that like you know find another way to to go we would fight for you like you should

01:30:00 - 01:30:02 | Speaker 4:

fight for us. Here we go.

01:30:04 - 01:30:06 | Speaker 5:

It's Mojo in the Morning's Throwback Throwdown.

01:30:08 - 01:30:17 | Speaker 4:

Chance to win some concert tickets with the first pick in the draft, Throwback Throwdown draft. Your choices, Spike, Shannon, Megan, or Mike. Jessica gets to go first. Who do you choose?

01:30:18 - 01:30:19 | Speaker 5:

I choose Miss Megan.

01:30:20 - 01:30:44 | Speaker 4:

Alright. Second pick in the draft goes to Jim. Who do you choose? Good morning, Mike. Jimmy! How do you know he likes to be called Jimmy? Maybe he's more of a James guy. Jimmy's good. 01:30:58 - 01:31:00 | Speaker 1:

Great. Enjoying a rainy Friday.

01:31:01 - 01:31:01 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

01:31:02 - 01:31:04 | Speaker 5:

01:31:05 - 01:31:42 | Speaker 4:

That is true. That is actually a bright point. All right, here we go. First song in the... Oh, actually, let me explain the rules. First to three, your name is your buzzer, title and artist of the song. If you've never heard this before, it is the throwback throwdown. The first song in the mojo in the morning, throwback throwdown. What shall I start with today? Oh, this might be a fun little one. Let's start with... Mike. Mike. My daughter's favorite singer in the entire world, Treat you better. Shawn Mendes. What?

01:31:50 - 01:32:17 | Speaker 2:

You've got a hold of me. Don't even know your power. I stand a hundred feet, but I fall when I'm around you. Show me an open door, and you go and slam it on me. I can't take any more. I'm saying, baby, please say mercy on me.

01:32:17 - 01:32:18 | Speaker 3:

Shannon.

01:32:18 - 01:32:18 | Speaker 4:

Shannon.

01:32:19 - 01:32:20 | Speaker 3:

It's Shawn Mendes.

01:32:21 - 01:32:24 | Speaker 4:

Three seconds. Mercy? Yes! Yes!

01:32:26 - 01:32:50 | Speaker 2:

He's the name of that song, and I love him. Take it easy on my heart. Yeah, yeah. You know you don't mean to hurt me. You keep tearing me apart. Would you please have mercy, mercy on my heart? Would you please have mercy, mercy on my heart?

01:32:50 - 01:33:03 | Speaker 4:

All right, on board. Next song in the mojo in the morning, Thoreau back, Thoreau down. Pick it up a little bit. Let me pick it up a little bit.

01:33:07 - 01:33:17 | Speaker 5:

Is Spike. Ashanti and Javrul always on time. Correct answer. Nice. Nice.

01:33:19 - 01:33:23 | Speaker 4:

You were very careful. That was good.

01:33:23 - 01:33:30 | Speaker 5:

I was like, I think job rules in 99% of the Shanty songs. Holla.

01:33:34 - 01:33:45 | Speaker 4:

All right. Got a good one going here. KP, why are you at that microphone? You don't like the other one over there? You like this one?

01:33:45 - 01:33:57 | Speaker 1:

Because I got to do the cameras. Oh, doing the cameras. Oh, okay. No, good. Where can people watch us right now? We're on TikTok Live right now. And then I'm recording us for later. So if you missed this, go on our Instagram. We'll be there.

01:33:57 - 01:33:59 | Speaker 4:

KP with a score update, please.

01:33:59 - 01:34:03 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah, I'm keeping score. Sheenan and Spike got one on one and one.

01:34:03 - 01:34:11 | Speaker 4:

All right. Mike and Megan, you guys were the first two chosen in this thing. Don't make Jessica and Jimmy be upset, okay?

01:34:11 - 01:34:14 | Speaker 1:

Jessica knew what she was doing. All right? Jessica knew. I know.

01:34:16 - 01:34:22 | Speaker 4:

The next song in the Mojo in the Morning, Throwback Throwdown, is...

01:34:23 - 01:34:26 | Speaker 2:

Oh, baby, I like your stuff.

01:34:29 - 01:34:37 | Speaker 4:

Um, Megan. Megan. Drake, One Dance. You get technical on this one. Got to.

01:34:37 - 01:34:48 | Speaker 3:

Street's not safe, but I never run away, even when I'm away. O-T, O-T, there's never much love when we go O-T. I pray to make it back in one piece.

01:34:48 - 01:34:48 | Speaker 4:

01:34:48 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 3:

I have no idea, but Drake, One Dance in parentheses, O-T. That's why I need a one dance Got a Hennessy in my hand

01:35:00 - 01:35:03 | Speaker 2:

Am I about to be really mad at Mojo?

01:35:03 - 01:35:04 | Speaker 6:

I know you're going to be mad at me.

01:35:05 - 01:35:06 | Speaker 2:

I ain't kidding.

01:35:06 - 01:35:11 | Speaker 6:

I got to get technical because I'm trying to think if I don't. Nobody will get it.

01:35:11 - 01:35:12 | Speaker 2:

Nobody's getting that.

01:35:20 - 01:35:27 | Speaker 5:

Spike. Spike. Drake and Daya one dance. These are all things I would have said.

01:35:27 - 01:35:43 | Speaker 2:

Come on, Mr. DJ I don't know

01:35:43 - 01:35:46 | Speaker 5:

Drake, one dance, in parentheses One time

01:35:46 - 01:36:17 | Speaker 6:

You would have gotten it right if you called your name out But No, I'm just joking No, it is Drake, Wizkid and Kyla won dance. Are you kidding me? I know, I know. Give me the points. Here's the problem. Give me the points. No, I always do this. I always will technically not put their names in there because it doesn't matter. But then I read, when I look up on Billboard to see what the actual official title is, I read that that's what he wanted.

01:36:17 - 01:36:31 | Speaker 4:

You just hate me. I need you to admit that you want me to lose this game. And you know what? Mojo, you are not hurting me. You're hurting Jessica. And I want you to know that. Jessica, I'm sorry. Punishing her, not me.

01:36:31 - 01:36:39 | Speaker 6:

Jessica, she is not very good at, you know, maybe give her just a little pat on the back for Atta Girl. Like, give her an Atta Girl.

01:36:40 - 01:36:42 | Speaker 3:

No, tell Jessica you hate her. Tell her you hate her.

01:36:42 - 01:36:43 | Speaker 6:

No, no.

01:36:43 - 01:36:45 | Speaker 3:

Tell her you don't want Jessica to win.

01:36:45 - 01:36:46 | Speaker 6:

Jessica, I want Jimmy to win.

01:36:47 - 01:36:47 | Unknown:

Jimmy.

01:36:47 - 01:36:57 | Speaker 6:

Sorry, Jimmy. All right, no, here we go. Nobody gets that one. Next song in the Mojo of the Morning, Throwback, Throwdown. is

01:36:57 - 01:37:03 | Speaker 5:

oh he's got peanut butter in his mouth Shannon

01:37:03 - 01:37:22 | Speaker 6:

Zane Pillow Talk correct answer with Kyla and WizKit I thought Megan got all of the One Directioners

01:37:22 - 01:37:25 | Speaker 4:

honestly I'm so heated about the Drake thing and I don't even know if I can recover.

01:37:25 - 01:37:32 | Speaker 6:

Oh, is that what it is? Yeah. I think that's what it is. Did I grind your gears?

01:37:32 - 01:37:37 | Speaker 4:

No, everybody listening knows that I have a point, even though you don't want to give it to me.

01:37:38 - 01:37:45 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Listen, those people commenting right now on TikTok, they always hate everything that we do anyway, so they always got some kind of a complaint.

01:37:45 - 01:37:45 | Speaker 1:

They have my back.

01:37:46 - 01:37:51 | Speaker 6:

All right, next song in the Mojo in the Morning Throwback Throwdown could make Shannon a winner. Is that right, KP?

01:37:51 - 01:37:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, Shannon's in the lead right now at two. Then we got Spike trailing behind with one.

01:37:55 - 01:38:15 | Speaker 6:

All right. Next song in the Mojo in the Morning, Throwback, Throwdown. Title and artist, please. Is? Oh, God. Should I do that song? Yeah, I'll do that song. Spike. Yes.

01:38:16 - 01:38:26 | Speaker 5:

Eve and Gwen Stefani, Let Me Blow Your Mind. Correct answer. I almost called her Glenn Stefani, which is her brother.

01:38:42 - 01:38:44 | Speaker 6:

Who's talking? Has somebody had a drive-thru right now, or what's going on?

01:38:44 - 01:38:46 | Speaker 3:

Someone's singing. They've been singing the whole time. Someone's singing along.

01:38:47 - 01:38:49 | Speaker 6:

Are you singing? Who's the singer here? Who's our singer?

01:38:49 - 01:38:50 | Speaker 3:

Uh-oh.

01:38:51 - 01:38:53 | Speaker 5:

That's all right. You feel it? Let it be heard.

01:38:54 - 01:38:54 | Speaker 4:

We like it. Which one?

01:38:54 - 01:38:56 | Speaker 6:

Wait, who's the one singing?

01:38:57 - 01:38:58 | Speaker 4:

Sue was singing.

01:38:59 - 01:39:01 | Speaker 6:

Name your name. I don't hear your name.

01:39:02 - 01:39:02 | Speaker 4:

Sue.

01:39:03 - 01:39:07 | Speaker 6:

Sue. Sue was singing. Sue. Sue, you like the song so far?

01:39:08 - 01:39:10 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and I like that Spike has two.

01:39:10 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. You want him to win it on this next one? Absolutely. All right, here we go. Next song in the Mojo in the Morning Throwback Throwdown. Spike, you can win it on this next one. And the song Is Mike Jason Derulo Three seconds Oh my gosh, I forgot the name of the song Shannon Jason Derulo, In My Head Correct answer, winner Oh my gosh, for Sue Congratulations to Cassie Cassie, it paid off to pick last

01:40:00 - 01:40:06 | Speaker 1:

on that one and to get Shannon. You got the prize. Congratulations. Thank you. Sue, what was your favorite song to sing along to?

01:40:08 - 01:40:09 | Speaker 2:

Let me blow your mind.

01:40:09 - 01:40:27 | Speaker 1:

That's a good song. Have a great weekend, guys. Thank you. Bye. See you, Jimmy. Bye, Jessica. Jessica, you're not mad at me, are you? No, not at all. Megan's gone silent on us right now. She's not talking right now.

01:40:27 - 01:40:28 | Speaker 2:

I made a sign for you.

01:40:28 - 01:40:32 | Speaker 1:

Oh, sign language right now. Thank you. I'm number one.

01:40:32 - 01:40:33 | Speaker 2:

Explicitives. Yeah.

01:40:34 - 01:40:47 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the morning. I got busted. I was trying to keep it out of the picture frame, but KP posted something up on our social and you could see my Starbucks cup in front of me and Chelsea saw it.

01:40:48 - 01:40:48 | Speaker 2:

You always get Starbucks.

01:40:49 - 01:41:57 | Speaker 1:

Ah, I know. But today was supposed to be my day where I was turning things around because I am on an allowance right now. I was put on an allowance by my lovely bride, my lovely wife, Chelsea, who told me that I've been spending too much money lately. And she's like, you got to stop this. Like, it's getting out of control. And she said, let's go through, like, what you're spending money on. And the last, like, few weeks have been crazy. You know, we've been in and out of promotions and out of town. And we had, you know, stuff going on. And then, you know, you throw, you know, money in, you know, for, you know, partying and drinking and all the rest of that stuff. Well, then she says, but that's not the point of what you're spending on because you've been spending this way for a while. She goes, what do you do every single day that, you know, there's something that you can get out? And I go, I don't know. I go to Starbucks every day. And she's like, well, let's go look. And I went and looked at my app. I had been spending $10.81 a day at Starbucks buying a coffee and egg bites.

01:41:57 - 01:42:00 | Speaker 2:

But you don't just get a coffee. You get the big daddy. I get the big Trenta. You get the Trenta.

01:42:00 - 01:42:07 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but it lasts me through the whole show. And honestly, it keeps me from eating my face off.

01:42:07 - 01:42:07 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:42:07 - 01:42:10 | Speaker 1:

Because it kind of keeps me from not being hungry. You know what I mean?

01:42:10 - 01:42:12 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but that is a lot of money when you add it all up.

01:42:12 - 01:42:37 | Speaker 1:

So I went through with her like a thing, and I don't know if this is going to make me look bad, but to the listeners that I've got no control over my household finances, that I'm spending $54.05 a week times four, that's $216.20 a month that I'm spending.

01:42:37 - 01:42:57 | Speaker 2:

yeah i did i put myself on that starbucks uh budget like two three years ago you guys always say i bring in my little cheap k cups and make my own coffee because i realized every it was ten dollars every every work day which i added up to be twenty four hundred dollars a year oh my god i

01:42:57 - 01:43:03 | Speaker 1:

didn't even think about it a year i didn't even 20 so when people ask like i i try and take my

01:43:03 - 01:43:25 | Speaker 2:

kids on a vacation every summer and and people like wow oh wow you went to iceland how'd you go to iceland starbucks 20 you could easily like if you make it a priority think about it you really think about like you budget some things that aren't important to you you could do something that are that is important sometimes starbucks gets me through that day all right so yeah so

01:43:25 - 01:43:30 | Speaker 1:

i just make my own coffee now but what if i die tomorrow i wanted to have my starbucks

01:43:30 - 01:43:38 | Speaker 2:

I won't say I never go there I mean like I love Dunkin Donuts so when I'm in a bad mood It'll change my mind

01:43:38 - 01:43:39 | Speaker 1:

They're no longer Dunkin Donuts

01:43:39 - 01:43:54 | Speaker 2:

But it'll change my mood to go And like get that drink So if sometimes you gotta treat yourself But every day I was doing it And I was getting the egg bites And I was treating someone at work And then it adds up all of a sudden

01:43:54 - 01:44:06 | Speaker 1:

But I need my emotional support Drink So bad You know what I want to be, though? I want to be the guy that goes and gets the big Coke from Speedway.

01:44:07 - 01:44:08 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that, like, barely fits in your cup.

01:44:09 - 01:44:15 | Speaker 1:

The one that is so big that if you drank it all at once, it would literally start coming out your wiener.

01:44:16 - 01:44:28 | Speaker 2:

See, but I think that's economical because the medium is 89 cents. The gallon is $1.05. So I just feel like you're just smart in your budget if you just get the large. You can't go medium.

01:44:28 - 01:44:57 | Speaker 1:

This is crazy. I know. Um, so, okay. So here's the question I want to throw out there. I want to know, are there any listeners who have ever been an adult on an allowance? Cause I'm getting an allowance now. So I said to Chelsea, I go, you got to help me with this whole thing because of Apple pay is the easiest thing in the world. You can just go Apple pay the whole thing. So she said, she gave me an allowance to now go from five days a week down to three days and then eventually try to do two days a week. So if I do that, I'll save a little bit of money on the deal.

01:44:57 - 01:44:58 | Speaker 2:

You'll save a lot of money.

01:44:58 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 1:

Well, today was supposed to be one of.

01:45:00 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 2:

my non-days.

01:45:01 - 01:45:11 | Speaker 1:

Can we as a show pick the two days you're going to do? Because we want you in a good mood on certain days. And if you're going to be in a bad mood without Starbucks, we don't want to be on a day that we have to work here long days.

01:45:11 - 01:45:17 | Speaker 2:

She picked the non-coffee days because she said that Fridays are always an upbeat day anyway. So you shouldn't even have to

01:45:17 - 01:45:24 | Speaker 4:

have it. No, no. Fridays are for treats. But there are alcoholic treats right behind him in this studio.

01:45:24 - 01:45:35 | Speaker 3:

So pick another day for the Starbucks drinks. Instead of coffee, we're like, well, on Fridays, just start drinking at 8 in the morning. That seems like a bad habit. I mean.

01:45:35 - 01:45:39 | Speaker 2:

And it's free because they give it to us, the liquor companies.

01:45:39 - 01:45:44 | Speaker 4:

It doesn't have to be, like, hard liquor. There's seltzers in there, wine in there, there's mimosas in there. There's no liquor.

01:45:45 - 01:45:45 | Speaker 2:

That's what I'm going to do.

01:45:45 - 01:45:52 | Speaker 4:

Megan, don't be no fun. I'm going to become an alcoholic because I'm not doing my Starbucks anymore.

01:45:52 - 01:45:53 | Speaker 2:

I need to find my other vice.

01:45:55 - 01:46:01 | Speaker 3:

You should. You're encouraging somebody to regularly drink at 8 in the morning on a Friday. I didn't say 8. It could be 9.30.

01:46:02 - 01:46:06 | Speaker 2:

Does anybody know if cocaine is cheaper? Is it cheaper than Starbucks? Very expensive.

01:46:07 - 01:46:08 | Speaker 1:

Seems like only rich people do cocaine.

01:46:09 - 01:46:14 | Speaker 2:

Still, I don't think so. I think that used to be. I think it used to be. You have to start wearing sweatsuits, too, all the time.

01:46:14 - 01:46:16 | Speaker 5:

Cocaine is for rich people.

01:46:16 - 01:46:17 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Grace? How you doing?

01:46:18 - 01:46:31 | Speaker 5:

Hey, so you can actually connect your Delta SkyMiles account through Starbucks. Yes, I just learned this. You earn miles with every drink, so it justifies the cost of every drink. We sure do.

01:46:31 - 01:46:34 | Speaker 4:

Takes you two seconds to connect them to. How do you do it?

01:46:34 - 01:46:34 | Speaker 2:

Wait, how do you do it?

01:46:34 - 01:46:39 | Speaker 4:

You go to, I can't remember which app I did it through. I think I did it through the Delta app.

01:46:39 - 01:46:41 | Speaker 2:

So it's not on the Starbucks app, it's on the Delta app?

01:46:41 - 01:46:46 | Speaker 1:

Well, you can go to either one, and then it'll have you connect, and then it'll send you to the other one to connect on both.

01:46:47 - 01:46:51 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so, all right. So see this? I could tell Chelsea this is going to get her an upgrade.

01:46:51 - 01:47:05 | Speaker 1:

Well, I got that text from them like two months ago saying, Now I'll get Delta miles. And I thought, oh, they're tricky. They know I cut back on my coffee to travel. So now they're trying to pull me back in and get me to get coffee to travel.

01:47:05 - 01:47:10 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so you can go to your Delta app where it says SkyMiles. Go to the bottom, and it's right there.

01:47:10 - 01:47:59 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. I love it. Is there any way also I can pay my son's college tuition with this too? Will they figure that out? Oh, my God. This is a great idea. Yeah. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, text 95500. I think I was talking specifically to one particular listener this morning who just sent me a text that said, Mojo, oh, my God, you're living my life. My wife just put me on an allowance. I am now only allowed to spend $25 a week on fun. And she packs me my lunch, too. That's actually kind of cute. You really are like a kid when you're doing that. I do pack lunches every day. Like a little child, I have a pack lunch in a brown paper bag.

01:47:59 - 01:48:00 | Speaker 4:

I've been doing it, too.

01:48:00 - 01:48:09 | Speaker 2:

Every single day. It saves money. When I do Ideal You, like I did back in October, I saved so much money doing the Ideal You weight loss program, Mike, because I was doing that.

01:48:09 - 01:48:11 | Speaker 1:

You weren't doing drive-thrus and door dashing?

01:48:11 - 01:48:12 | Speaker 2:

Jeanette, what's up?

01:48:13 - 01:48:14 | Speaker 5:

Hi, Mojo.

01:48:14 - 01:48:15 | Speaker 2:

Hey, what's happening, Jeanette?

01:48:16 - 01:48:19 | Speaker 5:

I was going to say, first-time caller, long-time listener.

01:48:19 - 01:48:22 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah. What's going on?

01:48:22 - 01:48:25 | Speaker 5:

I do the Seaway Big Drink every day.

01:48:25 - 01:48:37 | Speaker 2:

The one I was telling you about, that if you drank the whole thing in one sitting, you'd die? Yep. And what do you put in there? Well, I drink iced tea. So you got an iced tea in that sucker, huh?

01:48:38 - 01:48:39 | Speaker 5:

Yep, every day.

01:48:39 - 01:48:42 | Speaker 2:

Do you ever eat their cheese and sausage burrito, too?

01:48:43 - 01:48:47 | Speaker 5:

Nope, I don't do that. They're usually closed in the morning when I pass by.

01:48:47 - 01:48:49 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really? So you do it in the afternoon then, huh?

01:48:49 - 01:48:51 | Speaker 5:

I do it in the afternoon.

01:48:51 - 01:48:57 | Speaker 1:

You've got to be careful. Because while you're on your way to diabetes with the seven-gallon iced tea, we want you to worry about your sodium levels at the same time.

01:48:59 - 01:49:01 | Speaker 3:

Don't laugh at that. No, don't laugh at that.

01:49:02 - 01:49:38 | Speaker 2:

Do you remember Rebecca Falk we used to work with? Rebecca Falk was our marketing director. She would do, I think, a McDonald's Diet Coke, like a couple of three of those a day. And she was very good about her diet except for that. That was the only thing that she would drink. Like, and I would tell her, I would like, I would be like, you are corroding, like that, that, the, all that carbonation and all that stuff in there. And she's like, I got to have it. Otherwise I can't deal with, uh, with being at work. So, um, I don't know. I need another vice. I need something that's cheaper. Like, can I, can I just have ice water or something like that?

01:49:38 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 1:

You know what my other vice was? I really had to put myself on in timeout and give myself a budget. When my daughter announced she was going to grad school, I had to slow down on my Costco visits because I would go to Costco every week and I had no reason to go. I just went and I would justify it as I'm getting steps because I walk up and down every single aisle.

01:50:00 - 01:50:13 | Speaker 3:

But I'd spend $200 every week that I had no plans on. Did you ever find yourself just buying stuff that you never in a million years needed, right? I never went in for something specific. I just came out with a lot of things that I had.

01:50:13 - 01:50:14 | Speaker 8:

It makes you so happy.

01:50:14 - 01:50:21 | Speaker 4:

What's the stupidest, goofiest thing that you ever purchased there that you're like, why the hell did I do this? A hundred pieces of salami.

01:50:22 - 01:50:37 | Speaker 3:

I bought a gallon of agave syrup because I read the thing and I was like, oh, it's healthy sweetener. It's better than using sugar I'm going to use agave syrup I haven't opened it yet It's been like three months in my cupboard I don't even know what agave It's from a cactus, isn't it?

01:50:37 - 01:50:42 | Speaker 4:

I don't know what it is My neighbor is like you He goes to Costco all the time And he bought a pergola

01:50:42 - 01:50:43 | Speaker 3:

A pergola?

01:50:44 - 01:50:48 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'm like Really? Is that the umbrella thing? No, it's like an awning type thing

01:50:48 - 01:51:00 | Speaker 6:

Like the wooden thing for your back Like your deck Somebody doesn't watch HGTV Because they put a pergola at everyone else With little lights Fixer Upper loves a good pergola.

01:51:01 - 01:51:02 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Sam?

01:51:03 - 01:51:22 | Speaker 5:

Hey, so I have a suggestion for you, Mojo. This is what I do to not buy Starbucks every day. I buy the jugs of, like, already made Starbucks, like, at Kroger. And then you buy your own creamer and you buy those, like, Tarani syrups or Tarini, whatever they're called, those syrups. And you just, like, make the ice coffee, like, you know.

01:51:22 - 01:51:28 | Speaker 4:

Can somebody steal me cups, though? I want them in their cups. or do I have to keep on washing one of their cups?

01:51:29 - 01:51:34 | Speaker 5:

I get, like, reusable cups, like with the straws and everything, like reusable straws and lids and all that.

01:51:34 - 01:51:40 | Speaker 4:

What will they charge me if I just go through the drive-thru asking for just an empty cup? Can you give me one of those? What's up, Hannah?

01:51:41 - 01:51:43 | Speaker 7:

Hi, good morning. Hi, Mojo.

01:51:43 - 01:51:44 | Speaker 4:

Hey, what's going on?

01:51:45 - 01:51:51 | Speaker 7:

I just wanted to say I crunched the numbers and I'm spending around a grand a year on energy drinks. You should.

01:51:51 - 01:52:10 | Speaker 6:

You should. Megan, how much do you spend? Because you get one every morning, don't you? First of all, Dr. Frankl is listening, and I absolutely do not have multiple energy drinks every morning. I would never do that because my teeth are important, but I don't want to know.

01:52:11 - 01:52:12 | Speaker 4:

What's that, Hannah?

01:52:13 - 01:52:18 | Speaker 6:

I was going to say, it's like the same amount that people spend on their Starbucks, so that's why I look at it as not that bad.

01:52:18 - 01:52:19 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it's not that bad.

01:52:19 - 01:52:22 | Speaker 6:

But it's way worse for us, and we will die early.

01:52:22 - 01:52:35 | Speaker 4:

Hannah, don't worry about it. I used to spend over $1,000 a year in Slim Jims. It was kind of a bad habit for me for a while, too. All right. Thank you for the call. Mojo in the Morning. Find us on Instagram. It's Mojo in the Morning.

01:52:37 - 01:52:39 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:52:40 - 01:52:42 | Speaker 4:

Let's get to the dirty. I'm running late with it. What do you got with the dirty? All right.

01:52:42 - 01:53:08 | Speaker 8:

I'll try to talk fast. Former President Donald Trump has been indicted and faces more than 30 counts related to business fraud from a Manhattan grand jury. The DA's office has been investigating Trump in connection with his alleged role in a hush money payment scheme and cover-up involving that adult film star Stormy Daniels that goes way back to the 2016 presidential election. This is ABC News political commentator John Santucci.

01:53:08 - 01:53:43 | Speaker 2:

I spoke to him right after news of that indictment. He called it political persecution, said it's an attack on our country, said they are trying to impact an election. obviously the election he's referring to 2024 he is the only candidate announced so far I then asked the former president do you plan to come to New York do you plan to turn yourself in he said take care of yourself John and he hung up on me he is absolutely planning to come though he doesn't want to be in court he's going to take every political bona fide he believes comes with it as one aide said to me do they release the mugshot we want to print that on a

01:53:43 - 01:53:54 | Speaker 8:

t-shirt and added to our campaign roster. By the way, first time in American history that a current or former president has faced criminal charges. Former Vice President Mike Pence commenting.

01:53:54 - 01:54:08 | Speaker 1:

I honestly have to tell you that I think this is an outrage and it appears to millions of Americans to be nothing more than a political prosecution that's driven by a prosecutor who literally ran

01:54:08 - 01:54:20 | Speaker 8:

for office on the pledge to indict the former president. And Trump's former attorney, Michael Cohen, throwing a little shade with this comment. Oh, by the way, for Donald, since we're talking

01:54:20 - 01:54:25 | Speaker 4:

about convicted felons, see you on Tuesday, pal. Trump, by the way, has vowed to keep running for

01:54:25 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 8:

the 2024 presidential election in the face of these criminal charges. Yesterday, an attorney for Creedstar, Jonathan Majors, released some text messages that he claims, excuse me, came from his girlfriend who he is accused of assaulting in these text messages are interesting because it kind of looks like she takes the blame for the fight according to the text the girlfriend wrote to jonathan after whatever went down went down quote i told them it was my fault for trying to grab your phone she also said that she was angry that he'd been

01:55:00 - 01:56:29 | Speaker 4:

arrested and that she had made it clear that the charges did not have her blessing. The girlfriend allegedly wrote, I reiterated how this was not an attack. She also did indicate that she had injuries and that we quote unquote had a fight. Again, Jonathan Majors arrested over the weekend in New York City and charged with assault and harassment following that domestic dispute. Some sad news this morning. Brian Gillis, otherwise known as Briz from LFO passed away on Wednesday at 47 you guys, he's the third member of LFO to die wow, that's weird how old was he? 47 so if you remember in 2010 I think it was, Rich Cronin passed away after having a stroke he was battling leukemia, he was only 36 and then Devin Lima died at age 41 of adrenal cancer in 2018 so one of the other guys in the group, Brad God announced Briz's death yesterday on LSO's Facebook page. I saw essentially saying he didn't really have many details about what happened. But he did write this, which I found kind of interesting. And I don't know what your take is on it. But he wrote, I've prayed for Brian every day for many years. And I will continue to pray for him, for his beloved father, for his friends, his family, and for those who loved him. So I kind of took that as maybe he was struggling with something. Yeah. Yeah. And lastly, did you know that when Keanu Reeves first landed in Hollywood, his name wasn't Keanu Reeves?

01:56:29 - 01:56:46 | Speaker 3:

Of course, when I got here, they wanted to change my name. Yeah, they were like, Keanu, it's too ethnic. I mean, literally, like the day I arrived, I mean, I remember I had driven across the country and they told me. And then I was like, okay, well, what's my name going to be? And I was like, Templeton.

01:56:46 - 01:56:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, for a while, if you go back, you'll realize that he was not Templeton, but this name.

01:56:52 - 01:57:07 | Speaker 3:

Eventually, I came up with my first and middle initial. So I was Casey Reeves. But then I had like auditions and they'd be like, Casey? And I wouldn't even look up. And eventually, I went back to my agents and I was like, I can't change my name.

01:57:08 - 01:57:12 | Speaker 4:

It's our last Disney qualifier of the week. We'll have it back next week at 7.30 and 8.30 going to Disney. Raquel? Oh, no, I'm sorry. I gave you the name Raquel. We had a Raquel, I think, earlier. It's Rachel. Hi, Rachel.

Thank you so much. This is awesome.

01:58:23 - 01:58:55 | Speaker 2:

We have a $50 cash card for you to go have fun with. Your coworkers are, like, so nice. They're so sweet there. I've got a Patty and a Daisy here. Patty, Daisy, and Rachel all getting ready for their day. Did you guys all just get in? Yes. And I love that you guys can have us on there. Are you listening on your phone, or do you have like a little radio or something, like a Bluetooth speaker or something for everybody to be able to hear? On the computer. That's awesome. I love that. Thanks for listening to us. Thanks for having us on.

01:58:56 - 01:58:58 | Speaker 3:

Thank you so much. I'm so excited.

01:58:58 - 01:59:00 | Speaker 2:

Congrats to you. Hold on one second, okay?

01:59:01 - 01:59:01 | Speaker 3:

All right.

01:59:01 - 01:59:17 | Speaker 2:

01:59:17 - 01:59:18 | Speaker 3:

Money, please.

01:59:19 - 01:59:21 | Speaker 2:

Yes. So thank you to those people.

01:59:21 - 01:59:23 | Speaker 3:

That's my future bank account. Thank you very much.

01:59:25 - 01:59:40 | Speaker 2:

Mojo on the morning show. So got to talk to Shannon about this. I was watching your social media last night. And I saw on your story a picture of you. I knew you were at a spa, right? What's the spa that you go to?

01:59:40 - 01:59:42 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I was at Muse Med Spa in Troy.

01:59:42 - 01:59:43 | Speaker 2:

Muse Med Spa.

01:59:43 - 01:59:43 | Speaker 4:

Yep.

01:59:44 - 01:59:53 | Speaker 2:

The best. Was that something that you had to put on your face that will make your face look great? Because it looked like it was honestly...

01:59:54 - 01:59:54 | Speaker 4:

Scary.

01:59:54 - 01:59:55 | Speaker 2:

It was kind of a little, yeah.

01:59:56 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 4:

So I got a treatment done yesterday at Muse called Potenza.

02:00:00 - 02:01:06 | Speaker 1:

which is like microneedling so it helps just kind of change the complexion of your skin and it helps with like acne scarring and helps you tighten your skin and minimize your pore size it's a great treatment but after you have it done your face is red it almost feels like you have a little bit of a sunburn and so to make you feel better Nadine who did my treatment at Muse last night put a cooling mask on me and it feels so darn good because it has like this cold gel on it and she said you know you might want to wear it home and just keep it on as long as you had to walk out of there with that so I walked out of there with it on I actually had Lucy with me last night um and so I was like all right so I get in the car and Lucy goes mom are you seriously gonna drive with that on she's almost nine years old by the way and i said yes yes i am because it feels good and they told me that i need to and i'm going to listen to anything that they tell me to do so i drove down big beaver and at every stoplight lucy was cracking up because she was

02:01:06 - 02:01:12 | Speaker 2:

like mom people are are scared of you right you gotta call a car crash if i saw you next to me

02:01:12 - 02:01:20 | Speaker 1:

i feel like i looked like hannibal lecter from silence of the lambs because it was like this white mask that covered, didn't he wear a white mask?

02:01:20 - 02:01:23 | Speaker 2:

You're thinking of Jason, right? Or Jason? Yeah.

02:01:24 - 02:01:33 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. I looked terrifying. I couldn't even look at anybody at a red light. Steer right off the road if I saw you next to me. You gotta do what you gotta do.

02:01:34 - 02:01:50 | Speaker 3:

Explain to me sometimes these things that they do, because Chelsea will do these too. Where she'll go and she'll do these things and she'll put weird stuff on her. And listen, I know that it obviously works. It looks, you know, she looks good and stuff. Well, and it's not surgery.

02:01:50 - 02:01:55 | Speaker 1:

So you're choosing something that's not, you know, it's not invasive. So I'm always going to opt for that over.

02:01:55 - 02:02:07 | Speaker 3:

I feel like it's funny. It changes every single day. And there's some new latest and greatest thing that somebody's doing. And they make you, like, you know, rub, like, peanut butter or something on you.

02:02:07 - 02:02:09 | Speaker 1:

I was not rubbing peanut butter anywhere.

02:02:09 - 02:02:18 | Speaker 3:

I feel like somebody comes up with this stuff and goes, well, let's see if we can get somebody to do this. Because people will do anything to make themselves look younger. It's wild.

02:02:19 - 02:02:28 | Speaker 1:

I mean, especially when it's the skin on your face. You know, you want it to be nice. But I know so many people who've had this done, including somebody here at the radio station, and her skin is phenomenal. So I wanted to try it.

02:02:28 - 02:02:34 | Speaker 3:

So you decided you were going to do it. Yeah. And drive home. And drive home. Isn't the thing that you're supposed to do is never embarrass your kids?

02:02:34 - 02:03:05 | Speaker 1:

Oh, are you joking? Especially now, like third grade, let me tell you I thought that I was a really cool mom We had, Luz had a half day Last week and so we went to this place Out on the east side called Urban Air With a bunch of other kids from her school And I saw That she was like talking to this little boy And so I pulled her aside and I was like Oh, who's that little boy that you were talking to? She put her forehead against mine And she goes, Mom, please just stop talking You are embarrassing me Walk away and don't say anything

02:03:05 - 02:03:12 | Speaker 3:

And you told us that you've actually embarrassed her one time with a little boy, too, right? When you went in her class, they were like...

02:03:13 - 02:03:19 | Speaker 1:

Well, I want to know who all the kids are so that when she comes home and she talks about these kids, I can put a face to a name. So I always ask.

02:03:19 - 02:03:21 | Speaker 3:

It's so funny. It's funny how...

02:03:21 - 02:03:29 | Speaker 1:

I need the hot gossip from the eight-year-old. Megan, when she gets off the bus, I'm like, what's the tea from today? Tell me everything. I know I'm annoying and embarrassing.

02:03:30 - 02:03:47 | Speaker 3:

And I will not stop. Did your parents do the same thing, too? No. So nobody in your family did that? It wasn't something you learned? Because in my family, I embarrass the kids, and Chelsea's the one that keeps them from ever having to have therapy later in their life, which they need. You're the one that's, you know, that's embarrassing.

02:03:47 - 02:03:49 | Speaker 1:

Therapy's healthy for everybody.

02:03:49 - 02:03:53 | Speaker 3:

You're the one embarrassing them, and then is their dad, like, the more, like, he doesn't embarrass?

02:03:53 - 02:03:55 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Andrew's so embarrassing, too. Oh, yeah, but no,

02:03:55 - 02:03:57 | Speaker 3:

but does he embarrass them about, like, the boys and stuff like that?

02:03:58 - 02:04:02 | Speaker 1:

Not about that, but I think he, you know. I do. He'll embarrass them about other stuff.

02:04:03 - 02:04:27 | Speaker 2:

They get so embarrassed. Cecily was talking to a boy in the pickup line the other day, and I don't ever get out of the car. I always let her walk to the car and open the door or whatever. I got out and walked up and walked right up to him. Hey, guys, what are you doing? Dad, what are you doing? Oh, I was just coming to say hi. Who's this boy? And she's like, this is Grayson. I think his name is. I'm like, oh, Grayson. And I started talking to him. So you can't even say it like that. Yeah.

02:04:29 - 02:04:34 | Speaker 3:

You know what you should do, Shannon? And you should go pick her up at school with that mask on that you had on your face.

02:04:34 - 02:04:41 | Speaker 1:

She would probably walk right past my car. She would pretend that she'd get in the car with somebody else. Who are you?

02:04:41 - 02:04:48 | Speaker 3:

Not my mom. You know who you need to be? You need to be the mom that dropped their kids off at school in their pajamas.

02:04:48 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 1:

Well, my mom did do that. If we missed the bus, one, my sisters and I were terrified because my mom would just be pissed at us that she would have to get out of bed. and she would she would drive us in her

02:05:00 - 02:05:06 | Speaker 3:

pink bathroom i mean i still remember she she did not care but or the mom that walks around with

02:05:06 - 02:05:40 | Speaker 1:

just her bra on that was one of the kids down the street from us their mom would actually walk around with just really oh yeah yeah and it wasn't even like a sports bra i was like yeah but she was like always like uh you know i don't know they it was interesting she'd sit on her front porch like they had a porch there they had a house that had like one of those like old uh neighborhood type Looking porches And she would sit out In a chair in the front In her bra? And she would be in her bra And her poor kids, man I just remember driving by And it would be like Oh, Mrs. Kapanowski's out again

02:05:40 - 02:05:41 | Speaker 3:

And then you drove by again

02:05:41 - 02:05:41 | Speaker 1:

Yeah

02:05:41 - 02:05:43 | Speaker 3:

And then again

02:05:43 - 02:05:43 | Speaker 1:

No

02:05:43 - 02:05:45 | Speaker 3:

Unfortunately

02:05:45 - 02:05:51 | Speaker 1:

Well, not fortunately Fortunately for me Mrs. Kapanowski was She wasn't a looker But

02:05:51 - 02:05:52 | Speaker 3:

Yeah

02:05:52 - 02:05:54 | Speaker 1:

There's some boobs, though

02:05:54 - 02:05:54 | Speaker 3:

But she was always

02:05:54 - 02:06:30 | Speaker 1:

She gets sweaty Like, you know how you know how when you get sweaty as a guy you just take your shirt off and you'd go you'd be outside yeah i don't because i've got big old tees um but it couldn't be me but these but mrs kapanowski would be she'd be outside sweating and she'd go ah and she'd take her shirt off and she'd just have her bra on and i thought it was at first i thought it was like a um a bathing suit top and then i realized i don't think that's a bathing suit top that she's wearing in there. How can we have you how can we have Lucy embarrass you? That's the thing I want to do. I want Lucy.

02:06:30 - 02:06:46 | Speaker 3:

She's actually coming to the station today because they're on spring break this week and we, you know, like, I mean, I've just, we've been home all week and so they asked can we come in at the end of the week and, you know, sit in for a couple minutes of the show and I said, yeah, fine. So guess

02:06:46 - 02:06:52 | Speaker 2:

what we're doing. We're going to send Shannon out of the room and we're going to interview Lucy and find out some secrets about it.

02:06:53 - 02:06:59 | Speaker 1:

Let's have Lucy and Smith imitate their mom when she's mad. Oh, God. All I do is yell.

02:06:59 - 02:07:00 | Speaker 3:

I'm a yeller, for sure.

02:07:00 - 02:07:06 | Speaker 1:

You get to a point where all of a sudden the fuse goes, and then you are just... You guys have seen the cray. Yeah, it goes a little nuts.

02:07:06 - 02:07:10 | Speaker 3:

I will F you up, bitch! I don't say that to them, but I do raise my voice.

02:07:11 - 02:07:12 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Heather?

02:07:13 - 02:07:20 | Speaker 5:

Hi, good morning. I always had the mommy jammy drop-off. We were late.

02:07:20 - 02:07:25 | Speaker 1:

So were you the mom in the jammies Or was your mom the one that did the jammies

02:07:25 - 02:07:26 | Speaker 5:

Oh my mom

02:07:26 - 02:07:29 | Speaker 1:

And what did your mom look like in jammies

02:07:29 - 02:07:34 | Speaker 5:

I'm pretty sure like the antichrist

02:07:34 - 02:07:38 | Speaker 2:

Did you ask her not to Did you tell her to stop

02:07:38 - 02:07:47 | Speaker 5:

All the time I was like mom just drop me off a block before the school She's like no you're being dropped off at the door Because you're late And I'm like thanks mom

02:07:47 - 02:07:50 | Speaker 1:

Would she also roll the window down and say goodbye honey

02:07:50 - 02:07:55 | Speaker 4:

Oh yeah, have a good day dear And I'm like, I hate you right now

02:07:55 - 02:08:04 | Speaker 1:

My thing is My sons hated that I always wanted to give them Kisses in front of their friends You know what I mean? Like I'd always try to kiss them So they would get really upset if I tried to kiss them

02:08:04 - 02:08:20 | Speaker 5:

Well and the worst part is My mom was like the neighborhood mom So like all of my friends were like Hey mom, what's up? And I'm like, don't acknowledge her Ignore, ignore, ignore And I thought she would took like the ugliest pajamas On purpose

02:08:20 - 02:08:28 | Speaker 1:

Keep listening because we're going to have Lucy, Shannon's daughter, do a little payback on her mom, okay?

02:08:28 - 02:08:29 | Speaker 5:

Oh, perfect.

02:08:30 - 02:08:37 | Speaker 1:

I love this one, the caller. I don't know if they'll get on the phone. We're texting them right now. Oh, here she is. Sherry, hi.

02:08:38 - 02:08:39 | Speaker 4:

Hi, how are you?

02:08:39 - 02:08:40 | Speaker 1:

Good. What would your mom wear?

02:08:41 - 02:08:55 | Speaker 4:

My mom would wear the shiny spandex pants, the big oversized sweatshirt with the neck cut out. So, you know, hung over one shoulder with the bra strength. Oh, yeah. That's hot. I'd wear that now. I'm not a small woman.

02:08:56 - 02:09:00 | Speaker 1:

Oh, gosh. So she showed up. Would your friends ever say anything or were you too embarrassed to even ask?

02:09:01 - 02:09:06 | Speaker 4:

No, I didn't. We tried not to have her come to the school at all. Yeah, it was horrible. That's so mean.

02:09:07 - 02:09:10 | Speaker 1:

Thank you for the call.

02:09:10 - 02:09:43 | Speaker 2:

I never embarrassed the kids at school or at any of their events I was always very cautious girls are fragile and I don't want them but everything we did on the radio was embarrassing to them and they wouldn't listen to the show but they would hear about it when they got into the third grade Lucas said you dressed like a girl today and you were wearing tights and a wig that was great so the embarrassing stuff would get to them and hit them like sideswipe them because they didn't even know it happened until somebody

02:09:43 - 02:09:48 | Speaker 1:

asked them about it. They would ask what you did for a living and would the girl say he's a pharmacist. Yeah.

02:09:49 - 02:09:55 | Speaker 2:

We don't know our dad. He left when he left. This is Mojo in the Morning live.

02:10:00 - 02:10:27 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the morning, did you ever go to Target and you buy something that you think was meant for one particular thing, only to be corrected by somebody? It's KP. Where's she at? She out in the hallway doing videos? Yeah, she's coming. She told a story to us. That was so cute. KP. KP adulting, goes to Target, you ended up buying something, and then you realize it wasn't for the right thing, KP?

02:10:28 - 02:10:35 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I don't know. So I get stuck in the $5 section at Target. I don't know, Shannon, if you know what I'm talking about. Oh, we love it.

02:10:35 - 02:10:39 | Speaker 3:

It used to be the dollar spot, but then inflation. It is now.

02:10:39 - 02:11:23 | Speaker 4:

It's like $3 and $5. Yeah, the $3 and the $5. And I found the cutest jewelry tray. I was like, oh, my gosh, it's so cute. It's got little grooves in it. It's got a little place. The center is kind of big. I don't know if a ring can fit on this right here. So I've been using this in my room for the past, I don't know, like five weeks, little jewelry holder. And I don't know why it took me this long to realize it. I looked in the center and I'm like, it kind of looks like the inside of a lemon, like a citrus thing. It's a citrus squeezer. It's literally, it belongs in the kitchen. You got a juicer and you thought it was.

02:11:24 - 02:11:26 | Speaker 3:

And you've been putting your jewelry in it?

02:11:26 - 02:11:29 | Speaker 4:

Yes. So I obviously haven't used it to juice anything.

02:11:29 - 02:11:29 | Speaker 3:

Multiple purposes.

02:11:30 - 02:11:44 | Speaker 4:

I know, and I feel ridiculous. I'm like, I've been literally, like, if anyone has come into my room, they look over at a tray of rings that's sitting in a lemon squeezer. Yeah. And it's like, what weird stuff do you have that's multifunctional, but it's also kind of embarrassing?

02:11:45 - 02:12:07 | Speaker 3:

I have done the same thing at Target, where I bought something that I thought was a trash can, a waste can, like for the bathroom. And I hated the one that we had in the bathroom, only to find out that the thing was for, like, a salad. It was supposed to put a salad Did you notice that it's not like Cylindary, it's like more around like a salad bowl And it was like one of those You know, salad bowl Or salad holders

02:12:07 - 02:12:09 | Speaker 4:

That would be like the fanciest trash can

02:12:09 - 02:12:53 | Speaker 3:

Well, honestly When I looked at the trash cans They all looked like the one that I was trying to get rid of So that was the problem I would tell you When I bought the Remember the little mini Christmas tree that lit up for Christmas And I brought it in that one time They ever tell you that I walked up to the front of the store with that at Target and walked up to the front and they couldn't find the price tag on it? And they were trying to figure out why they couldn't find a price tag on it. Turns out it was the display. The manager of the Target was dying laughing so much with that whole thing. So, KP, doing a little adulting around the place. So are you still using it for that or do you now use it as a citrus?

02:12:53 - 02:13:16 | Speaker 4:

No, I already have a lemon squeezer Why would I need another Why would anyone get one of those little Tray ones Where you squeeze the lemon on top Just get the normal clamp Way easier I'm feeling an adulthood at the moment So we're going to just Everyone just give me a pat on the back Really judgmental about your juicers there too

02:13:16 - 02:13:21 | Speaker 3:

I've never used a juicer either So I'm like wow, look at you Cheryl, what's up

02:13:21 - 02:13:52 | Speaker 1:

hey i use a noodle spoon as a back scratcher i have one next oh yeah my car smart you have it in your car i like it and in my car yes you know how you always get that itch in the middle of your back that's awesome welcome it is actually better the back scratchers are so tiny that one has like a lot of prongs on it that's so genius it is awesome there's i will never go back to a regular Go to the dollar store and stock up.

02:13:52 - 02:14:02 | Speaker 3:

I have a buddy of mine that has one of those leaf blowers in his car to clean his car out. And it's not the little teeny one. Remember, like Utah Smith has, that little teeny one?

02:14:02 - 02:14:03 | Speaker 2:

I love that thing.

02:14:03 - 02:14:04 | Speaker 3:

It's the big one.

02:14:04 - 02:14:06 | Speaker 2:

The guy has the big one. I'll clean out your car in two seconds.

02:14:06 - 02:14:27 | Speaker 3:

He puts it in the back of his truck. He has a Yukon or whatever it is. And he puts it in the back. And when he wants to clean out, he turns the thing on and goes. And he says it cleans the cup holders So in Shannon's it'll be a tornado Of trash and clothes she was gonna Donate one day Returns from Target

02:14:27 - 02:14:30 | Speaker 2:

All my returns are back there right now My whole trunk

02:14:30 - 02:14:36 | Speaker 3:

Do you pull up to the car wash And do you ever get the full service one And you have to apologize to people

02:14:36 - 02:14:42 | Speaker 2:

No they will tell you to I say don't even open the trunk Because stuff will just spill out

02:14:42 - 02:14:43 | Speaker 3:

It will just come right out of that thing

02:14:43 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 2:

I try to if I'm doing that, which I don't do very often, I try to, like, take a few things out so they don't think I'm a disgusting human being. Rochelle? Yeah. Hey, what's up? Hi. So my aunt, she loves wearing those, like, scarves, infinity scarves.

02:15:00 - 02:15:34 | Speaker 6:

and she came over wearing one one day, and she kept saying she loves it, but it's just so big and so long. She took it off, and I said, oh, my God, it's a table runner. Where did she get this? How did that happen? She said she bought it at Kroger, and I said, then more than likely it is a table runner, and then I pulled out one, and I said, look, look at the material and, like, the little gold that they put in it. Oh, my God, that's the greatest story. so we always say oh do you need more table runners does she still use it for that or now

02:15:34 - 02:15:42 | Speaker 2:

that she knows what it is she doesn't use it still a scarf good for her morgan hi um yeah so

02:15:42 - 02:15:48 | Speaker 5:

my husband and i we use one of those silicone like large ice cube molds as a place to hide

02:15:48 - 02:15:54 | Speaker 2:

our key for our safe in our house wow that's not that's not a bad idea little hiding spot there

02:15:55 - 02:16:01 | Speaker 5:

So if you see it in the freezer, you don't suspect it's anything but an ice cube, and it's easy to open when you're in a pickle trying to get into the safe fast.

02:16:01 - 02:16:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, that's actually a good idea. I know people that do, like, hide money in their freezers. Gail. Hey. Good morning. Good morning. If you don't have the noodle spoon, what do you use for your back scratcher?

02:16:15 - 02:16:29 | Speaker 7:

I use the toilet brush. I use a brush and a new one. One that's just dedicated to that, though. Oh, yeah. It's dedicated to that. I have to label it and make sure that it stays in the bed. Yeah.

02:16:29 - 02:16:34 | Speaker 2:

There's always that chance, though. That's a good one, too, though. Yeah. That somebody used it? Yes.

02:16:35 - 02:16:43 | Speaker 7:

Kind of like the cleaning toothbrush. You have to make sure that you paint it, like, pink or something. Make sure it never gets to that bathroom.

02:16:43 - 02:17:05 | Speaker 1:

You know, I was in Home Depot once when a guy came up to me and said, do you need help with anything? So I picked up the toilet brushes, and I'm looking for one of these, But softer because I've been using this one To scrub my butt crack And it's just really rough On your skin And he just looked at me I'm making a joke not realizing Someone's actually done it

02:17:05 - 02:17:12 | Speaker 4:

In 15 or less It's Shannon's Dirty on the 30 But first coming up on Mojo in the Morning You'll hear this

02:17:12 - 02:17:32 | Speaker 2:

When we come back here next Spike offered a job as an influencer but not the job that you thought you would be offered. We'll talk about that on the way in a couple minutes. Also if I do this will I lose a friend? We'll get into that. Shannon's Dirty, Spike's phone scam before we leave today. It's Mojo

02:17:32 - 02:17:38 | Speaker 4:

in the Morning. More Mojo in minutes. Wake up with Mojo in the Morning and laugh at the phone

02:17:38 - 02:17:44 | Speaker 1:

scams. This is Phillip Rippin-Clipple. Ross, this is Horton Hersahu. My name's Vito Cappuccino. Five lies to

02:17:44 - 02:17:45 | Speaker 5:

tell your mom. Hey mom, something

02:17:45 - 02:17:55 | Speaker 1:

happened yesterday that i need to tell you about and senseless surveys this is mr dabalina con from the u.s senseless bureau this is mojo in the morning

02:17:55 - 02:18:27 | Speaker 2:

mojo in the morning show home of the phone scams war of the roses and the dirty on the 30 so um spike this is not quite the job that you thought that you would get offered if somebody was going to want you to help promote them yeah like i don't do social media influencing or

02:18:27 - 02:19:20 | Speaker 1:

whatever i mean it's a great platform i feel like i should i have some things in my life i could definitely tell people about on on social media but i got obviously i think i wear too much black in my wardrobe because yesterday i got an offer in my dms to be an influencer and it made me laugh because it says hello we're reaching out today because oh and this is on like my personal instagram radio spike this is not on mojo in the morning so it looked at all my pictures and this is what it sent me we're reaching out because we believe your passion for gothic fashion aligns perfectly with our brand we would love to work with you and and send you some products so you can represent our clothing line and i'm like wow do i wear this much black that it just picked up that i shouldn't be an influencer for gothic dark dreams whatever i get those too do you

02:19:20 - 02:19:31 | Speaker 3:

yeah the same ones yeah almost word for word exactly the same it was like looking at your profile it's clear you have like a love of gothic fashion you don't trust gothic at all so maybe

02:19:31 - 02:19:47 | Speaker 1:

they're just blanketing everybody so i always figured i'd be an influencer for like craft beer yeah or for farts because these are things i know a lot about more farts t-shirts like fun t-shirts yeah graphic tees maybe but you know hot topic you would have been a great oh yeah yeah they

02:19:47 - 02:19:56 | Speaker 2:

should reach out to me i'll advertise for them hot topic has any advertising money because they charge like 20 for a teacher two for 20 yeah two for 20 yeah not that i know but

02:19:56 - 02:19:58 | Speaker 1:

So

02:20:00 - 02:20:02 | Speaker 3:

The, um, wow, this is wild.

02:20:02 - 02:20:18 | Speaker 2:

This is, uh, like what would surprise you if you got, I mean, like, I wouldn't be surprised if Mojo got an offer from Metamucil because he's definitely told enough of us to try it that I know, I know so many listeners that have bought Metamucil because of one conversation.

02:20:18 - 02:20:20 | Speaker 5:

I was influenced by you. I took the gummies this morning.

02:20:20 - 02:20:30 | Speaker 3:

So I got a message last week, and national sales, Carrie, Anthony's wife.

02:20:30 - 02:20:31 | Speaker 5:

Oh, Carrie, yeah.

02:20:31 - 02:20:33 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. You can say her name.

02:20:33 - 02:20:34 | Speaker 5:

Okay, I was at Carrie LeVarde, yeah.

02:20:34 - 02:20:48 | Speaker 3:

She asked about Metamucil and wants to do a father-son endorsement deal with Metamucil for Joey and I. To show the age ranges of Metamucil aren't just a bunch of old people.

02:20:48 - 02:20:49 | Speaker 1:

So great.

02:20:50 - 02:21:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. So they wanted the audio of when Joe was on from Tampa talking about how he takes the Metamucil crackers and how he's obsessed with the Metamucil crackers.

02:21:00 - 02:21:06 | Speaker 5:

Yes, and how his poops have never been cleaner. He doesn't use as much toilet paper. That's what sold me.

02:21:06 - 02:21:06 | Speaker 3:

It's like, yeah, poop.

02:21:07 - 02:21:09 | Speaker 5:

I didn't buy the crackers, though. I couldn't find those.

02:21:09 - 02:21:14 | Speaker 3:

What about for Shannon? I mean, Shannon does already a lot of influencing. She's got a million of them. She might not have the right product.

02:21:15 - 02:21:21 | Speaker 5:

Well, I do like everything I talk about. I don't have, like, a wine one. That's the easiest. Oh, that's too good.

02:21:21 - 02:21:25 | Speaker 3:

Let's get you one that's goofier. Let's do something. Let's do something.

02:21:25 - 02:21:27 | Speaker 5:

Well, it's like I said beer, so that's where I'm at.

02:21:27 - 02:21:31 | Speaker 3:

No, I know, but let's get you like. How about that leaf blower to blow out our car? Okay, wait.

02:21:31 - 02:21:34 | Speaker 5:

I love that damn little leaf blower, but that was from Amazon.

02:21:34 - 02:22:09 | Speaker 3:

No, no. How about bumpers for your car to protect your car from getting sideswiped? Hi, this is Shannon. I am a terrible driver. What is that company that makes all the floor mats and stuff like that? Weather Tech. Weather Tech needs. Have you seen that they have a bumper for the back of the car so that you don't bump? They do, I swear to you. They have a thing that you put in your hitch on the back, and you put the thing in there, and supposedly it keeps you from bumping up and scratching or breaking the plastic bumper. Shannon should have that for the entire car. I'm such a bad driver. Brian Moran would be very happy. He would be so, I mean, yes. Although his-

02:22:09 - 02:22:10 | Speaker 5:

Trust me, he would be so happy.

02:22:10 - 02:22:18 | Speaker 3:

His body shop guy wouldn't because you're a good portion of his day. What about Megan? What would be one for Megan?

02:22:18 - 02:22:24 | Speaker 5:

It makes me mad that I don't have a dispensary because that makes a lot of sense. Right? Yeah, you should. No, no.

02:22:24 - 02:22:32 | Speaker 3:

How about something for kids? Megan in daycare or something like that where you have to do something completely opposite. You hanging out with a bunch of babies.

02:22:32 - 02:22:42 | Speaker 5:

I still think you should sell an F them babies apparel line. I would love that. I should do that. You just should do that on the side. Or something and do that.

02:22:42 - 02:22:49 | Speaker 1:

And then, oh, what was the other one I just had? Oh, no, it was so good. Oh, I got distracted by this.

02:22:49 - 02:22:50 | Speaker 2:

Again, the dispensary.

02:22:52 - 02:23:00 | Speaker 3:

Mike needs, let's see what we got from Mike. I'm trying to think of something that would be. Hats. Well, for hats would be the perfect guy for that, right?

02:23:00 - 02:23:09 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, hats or shoes. Wigs. How about wigs? No. No, but it could be like a hair product for people with actual hair.

02:23:09 - 02:23:14 | Speaker 5:

A service to come take down your Christmas decorations.

02:23:14 - 02:23:16 | Speaker 1:

They're still up, by the way. I know.

02:23:16 - 02:23:25 | Speaker 3:

I did not

02:24:04 - 02:24:05 | Speaker 3:

You should do it with

02:24:05 - 02:24:08 | Speaker 4:

I don't think my followers would Food blog

02:24:08 - 02:24:12 | Speaker 3:

With female fun devices.

02:24:13 - 02:24:15 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that might be something totally different.

02:24:15 - 02:24:22 | Speaker 2:

So in their case of the algorithms, they're probably not even looking at what it is you talk about. They're just saying, oh, this woman knows engagement. She knows how to reach people.

02:24:23 - 02:24:25 | Speaker 3:

What is your blog?

02:24:25 - 02:24:30 | Speaker 4:

02:24:43 - 02:24:49 | Speaker 3:

02:24:49 - 02:24:50 | Speaker 5:

He does a fantastic job.

02:24:50 - 02:24:51 | Speaker 3:

He's so good.

02:24:51 - 02:24:54 | Speaker 5:

He's very, very good. Her Instagram is beautiful.

02:24:54 - 02:24:56 | Speaker 3:

Girl, take my photos. Dinner club. Look at her.

02:24:57 - 02:24:58 | Speaker 5:

That's like professional. Professional.

02:25:00 - 02:25:18 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Oh, my God. She's got, like, beautiful stuff there. I think she needs, you know what she needs there? She needs the, what was that, what was the expensive vibrator, the Batman or something like that that we saw when we were in there? Could you imagine? Like, randomly, she's showing the souffle on the table, and then there's the big dong sitting right there.

02:25:19 - 02:25:20 | Speaker 3:

Oh, her Instagram is beautiful.

02:25:20 - 02:25:20 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, she's got a good one.

02:25:21 - 02:25:22 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my goodness. Wait.

02:25:23 - 02:25:25 | Speaker 5:

Back to the radio show, everybody. Hello.

02:25:25 - 02:25:31 | Speaker 6:

We just gave her a lot of followers. How about some ADD medicine? You can definitely endorse that. Have you tried Adderall?

02:25:33 - 02:25:36 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:25:36 - 02:25:52 | Speaker 6:

So it's wild because last night that news came down about President Trump and being indicted. Yep. And then moments after that, another big story came down, and that was the Gwen Stefani case. Gwyneth Paltrow. Or Gwyneth Paltrow. I don't know Gwen Stefani.

02:25:52 - 02:26:05 | Speaker 3:

Gwyneth Paltrow. Yeah, Gwyneth Paltrow. She ended up winning that court battle that we've been hearing about all week that was over that 2016 ski collision at that very fancy Utah ski resort, Deer Valley, after a jury decided

02:26:05 - 02:26:15 | Speaker 1:

it wasn't her fault. Has the jury reached a verdict? Will you please hand it to the bailiff and the bailiff will bring it to me. Thank you. We'll now have the clerk read the verdict.

02:26:15 - 02:26:36 | Speaker 2:

Was Gwyneth Paltrow at fault? No. Was Terry Sanderson at fault? Yes. What percent of the fault do you assign to Terry Sanderson? 100%. What amount fairly compensates Gwyneth Paltrow for economic damages? One dollar.

02:26:36 - 02:26:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, Terry Sanderson was seeking more than $300,000 as compensation for his injuries, which were four broken ribs and a concussion. Here he is on his way out of the courthouse yesterday.

02:26:46 - 02:27:02 | Speaker 4:

Terry, did Gwyneth Paltrow touch you as she laughed? She did. And her exact words, I wish you well. Very kind of her. That's all she said? That's all she said. Okay, and did you respond? I said, thank you, dear. I said, thank you, dear.

02:27:02 - 02:27:48 | Speaker 3:

My favorite tweet about the verdict last night was someone celebrating with two cups of bone broth tonight. There were so many good reactions. Britney Spears, is there trouble in her marriage? There have been a lot of rumors as of late and ramping up those rumors. She has been spatted out and about this week. She's actually on vacation in Hawaii with her longtime manager and no wedding ring for her. I noticed that when she was getting on her private jet to fly to Hawaii. And then her husband, Sam, also ditched his wedding ring on several outings this week. I saw a photo of him out grocery shopping yesterday and nope, no ring on that finger. So I don't know what's going on there. But when both aren't wearing their rings, something's up.

02:27:48 - 02:28:07 | Speaker 6:

Remember the last thing that came out, right, was he or she posted or he posted. What was the story? There's been so many of them. I know. I'm trying to recall. I thought he took her thing away or he took her off of social media. And people thought that he was being controlling and stuff. People are definitely going to look at him as sus, as the children say. Sus, yeah.

02:28:09 - 02:28:21 | Speaker 3:

Jay Leno is opening up about the two accidents he had over the course of two months. The most recent accident happened in January when he got knocked off of his motorcycle. Remember that? Can I go to Cleveland?

02:28:21 - 02:28:36 | Speaker 5:

I got a broken collarbone. I got two busted ribs. I got two cracked kneecaps because I got clothes lined on my motorcycle. We heard about that. That's the scariest situation. Yeah, that was the scariest. Was it at night? Okay, you're a 72-year-old guy and an 83-year-old motorcycle. Okay, what could go wrong?

02:28:37 - 02:28:44 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and then, of course, you remember back in November, he suffered burns in a gasoline fire while he was working on one of his cars in his L.A. garage.

02:28:44 - 02:28:57 | Speaker 5:

I mean, this is a brand new ear. That guy's good, dude. Well, what do you mean a brand new ear? I mean, when you get burned in a fire, ears are like paper. Then it just goes up. So that just, boom.

02:28:58 - 02:29:50 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Mama June's 28-year-old daughter, Chickadee, has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. You might remember her if you watched Here Comes Honey Boo Boo back in the day. Her diagnosis of stage 4 adrenal carcinoma came in January. She was having some stomach aches, went to the doctor. They did a series of tests, and the tests revealed the cancer was in her liver, her kidney, and her lung. And Buffalo Bill Safety DeMar Hamlin visited the White House, sat down with President Biden yesterday. He was already in D.C. to support the Access to AEDs Act this week. And after meeting with politicians on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, he ended up getting a few minutes to hang with the president yesterday. Of course, he brought jerseys for everybody. I saw Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer had his DeMar Hamlin jersey on. But you might see some photos of that, and you can catch up on it.

02:29:50 - 02:29:52 | Speaker 6:

Rumor is he's not, by the way, playing next year.

02:29:52 - 02:29:52 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really?

02:29:52 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 6:

That's what the rumor is, yeah. So I don't know if it was his choice or the team's choice or maybe a doctor's choice.

02:30:00 - 02:30:01 | Speaker 5:

Hold on for a little bit.

02:30:01 - 02:30:01 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:30:01 - 02:30:05 | Speaker 5:

Catch up on all of today's dirty on that dirty page on the morning.com.

02:30:05 - 02:30:11 | Speaker 1:

Get more dirt at mojo in the morning.com and another world famous phone scam happens in minutes.

02:30:13 - 02:31:36 | Speaker 4:

All right. It is mojo in the morning. Has this ever cost somebody their friendship? I have some stuff I need to do around the house. And one of my friends has always been my go-to for those type of jobs. and my only problem is I found someone who I think could possibly do it better and for a lot less money and this person is like a friend that we go out with a lot and actually they come over to our house a lot and my fear is and Chelsea's fear is that if we have somebody else do it it's kind of hard to hide what we're going to have done because he'll notice it come into our house and if he comes in he'll be like oh you guys decided to do something and you didn't ask me to do it for you yeah you know like that's hard like i sit there and i i bring this up because i i want some advice on has that something like this ever cost you a friendship um because i know that we live in car capital of the world right and what do you do when you work for one of the car companies and one of your besties or Why did I say besties? I was going to say best buddies. Best buddies. Well, or besties. Goes out and buys your competitor's car or even worse, buys like the foreign version of that car, you know?

02:31:37 - 02:31:42 | Speaker 5:

Or like when your fiance has a different radio station programmed as his number one favorite.

02:31:43 - 02:31:44 | Speaker 4:

Wait, wait.

02:31:44 - 02:31:46 | Speaker 3:

What does your fiance West have programmed on his thing?

02:31:47 - 02:31:50 | Speaker 5:

Should I say the radio station? Yeah, say it. The Bounce.

02:31:50 - 02:31:53 | Speaker 3:

He puts The Bounce? Is that 105.1? Yes.

02:31:54 - 02:31:54 | Unknown:

Wow.

02:31:55 - 02:31:56 | Speaker 3:

I knew there was something.

02:31:56 - 02:31:58 | Speaker 5:

This is my music.

02:31:58 - 02:31:59 | Speaker 3:

Classic hits.

02:31:59 - 02:32:01 | Speaker 5:

Red flag. Red flag. You can still back out.

02:32:01 - 02:32:03 | Speaker 4:

He likes to hear Vanilla Ice a lot.

02:32:03 - 02:32:10 | Speaker 5:

Actually, it's kind of nice because then he's not always hearing when I'm talking about him. Oh, that's actually good. So it saves me some trouble.

02:32:10 - 02:32:13 | Speaker 1:

But man, support the family business.

02:32:13 - 02:32:33 | Speaker 4:

Well, the hard part is with, you know, having a friend that does what, you know, like, has the car, works in the car company or, in this case, does the work, is that, you know, yeah, you support them and you want to support them. But, you know, you might see somebody that does a little bit better job at it.

02:32:33 - 02:32:36 | Speaker 5:

And if the price is better, I feel like that's what you say, you know.

02:32:37 - 02:32:41 | Speaker 4:

But then he's going to say, why didn't you give me a chance to give you that price? Yeah, that's true. That's true.

02:32:41 - 02:33:27 | Speaker 1:

so it's kind of i just had this happen and it's compounded because the person just lost a job and so they could use the money and they asked me to help with some things around the house and i just hired a professional so there but they were like well can can you cancel that contract and like have me do it and i was getting a little nervous like well it's not what the person does every day it's similar but it's not the same and i'm like this is expensive i want to make sure it's done right perfectly and i already signed a contract so i don't know if i can even get out of that so it's kind of like you're asking a lot because i'll i i would rather just loan someone the money and help them like i'll give you the money if you need the money but i want it done right i i like it's not something that if you mess up you're gonna lose a friendship over we

02:33:27 - 02:33:49 | Speaker 4:

lost a friend who is uh a manager of a restaurant that we would go to all the time and we lost him because we went out to eat at the restaurant that was right like two doors down their biggest competitor and somebody posted a picture of all of us at the table together and they posted the picture and he was like i can't believe you did it and it was like one of their slower nights that

02:33:49 - 02:33:54 | Speaker 5:

he had but you can't go to their restaurant i know but it was like we were celebrating a big

02:33:54 - 02:34:09 | Speaker 4:

birthday and it was like throwing you know like having i know but it was like one of those ones where it would have been a good it would have been a good deal for him to go but and he gave You know, every time we go there, he always gives us free stuff, and sometimes that bothers me. I don't like when they're always giving you free stuff. What's up, Travis?

02:34:10 - 02:34:11 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Mojo. How are you doing today?

02:34:11 - 02:34:12 | Speaker 4:

Good. What's going on?

02:34:13 - 02:34:33 | Speaker 2:

Hey, as a contractor myself, I have had family and friends have people hired to do work that I could have done. And I don't take that personally. He shouldn't take it personally. If he's your friend, he's got to understand that you could get it cheaper or faster or done better by somebody else. So don't let that weigh on you, buddy.

02:34:33 - 02:34:52 | Speaker 4:

And I feel bad because right now things are tough right now. It was like a couple of months ago even, even before the beginning of the year, where all my contractor friends, you couldn't even get them to do anything for you. And now it seems like everybody stopped doing any work because of the economy. So I feel bad.

02:34:52 - 02:34:58 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I wouldn't feel bad, man. He should understand. Quality is a big thing.

02:34:58 - 02:35:00 | Speaker 1:

I think some of it for Mojo. I know

02:35:00 - 02:35:10 | Speaker 3:

it was for me some of it might just be self guilt because you really want to help the person and you want to give them the work yeah so it's kind of like wow geez I want to but you're conflicted

02:35:10 - 02:35:54 | Speaker 4:

with your own feelings when I moved here um I had a Toyota 4Runner and I remember pulling into my neighborhood you know you come and you move in there and stuff and I had a GM guy on one side a Ford person on the other and a Chrysler person across the street and they looked at that thing And that was back when they'd have names for your car if you drove a Japanese car. And listen, I bought it because my father-in-law was the manager of a Toyota dealership in Arizona. And I never felt so looked at differently because of that, you know, because you had the car. And I ended up getting rid of it. What's up, Kiata? Or Kenyatta?

02:35:54 - 02:35:54 | Speaker 1:

Kenyatta.

02:35:55 - 02:35:56 | Speaker 4:

Yes, Kenyatta.

02:35:56 - 02:36:01 | Speaker 1:

Well, I worked before at work right now and drive a DM, so.

02:36:01 - 02:36:09 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? So let me ask you, because I know with a lot of places, they make you park farther away in a different lot. Is that the case at your place?

02:36:10 - 02:36:12 | Unknown:

Yeah, sort of, kind of.

02:36:12 - 02:36:12 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:36:13 - 02:36:22 | Speaker 1:

And in some places, like my mother used to work at DM, if you were a foreign car, you had to park all the way up against the fence. Yeah.

02:36:22 - 02:37:02 | Speaker 4:

What are you building right there? i love it nice megan megan uh said in her commercial what did you say megan number one what'd you say number one truck or something number one selling truck i used to love do you remember the old uh uh ford commercials that would run before the movies at the star Southfield that were like, it was, uh, what's her name? Karen Newman singing the song. The, the, the Metro Detroit Ford dealers think Ford first. That was like the greatest commercials ever.

02:37:02 - 02:37:06 | Speaker 6:

I like how intense Ford commercials are now with the, the hammering of the metal.

02:37:06 - 02:37:11 | Speaker 4:

And it's like, yeah, they're climbing something like rock. Yeah. Yeah.

02:37:11 - 02:37:24 | Speaker 3:

I thought the good ones, the F the F one 50 commercials that had, uh, that comedian Dennis Leary voice him. They were always good. He was like, slap a steak on the grill, crack open a cold one and you know like you he was like he was the guy that was always hey pal

02:37:24 - 02:37:29 | Speaker 4:

you know i don't know if you remember him it was the 90s those are good commercials what's up

02:37:29 - 02:37:48 | Speaker 5:

amanda hi hi what's going on um so my dad actually works at ford motor company and he said that he's seen and heard of employees that work there pull up in a foreign car And they will flip the car While you're on your shift

02:37:48 - 02:37:50 | Speaker 3:

Still today?

02:37:51 - 02:37:53 | Speaker 5:

That kind of sucks

02:37:53 - 02:37:58 | Speaker 3:

I knew that was a big thing in the 80s When times were different But I didn't think that was such a big deal now

02:37:58 - 02:38:10 | Speaker 4:

Wow, that's wild Imagine you come out and your car is flipped over Dude, I kind of love it I'm going to do that to Wes And Shannon's fiance For having the bounce on

02:38:10 - 02:38:22 | Speaker 6:

If I pull up to you at a red light And you're not playing one of our stations I'm just going to hate you We're going to do a phone scam right now.

02:38:22 - 02:38:53 | Speaker 4:

It is Classic Phone Scam Friday, and this morning, our scam, Tony got a new puppy. And from what we found out, it's been a total headache because the puppy got sick and racked up a whole bunch of bills and ended up being just a money pit. Well, the pet store said that they would take care of the vet bills, and so Spike called him up and told him that they were not now going to do that, and he's responsible for the $1,200. It's a Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

02:38:54 - 02:38:57 | Speaker 6:

We will, we will scam you.

02:38:58 - 02:39:00 | Speaker 3:

Sorry, it's a catchy song.

02:39:01 - 02:39:07 | Speaker 2:

It's your home with phone scams. Mojo in the Morning. This is Tony.

02:39:08 - 02:39:08 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Tony.

02:39:09 - 02:39:10 | Speaker 2:

Yes, sir.

02:39:10 - 02:39:13 | Speaker 3:

Tony, this is Clubber Lang over at Chico, the pet store.

02:39:14 - 02:39:15 | Speaker 2:

Oh, good morning. How are you doing?

02:39:16 - 02:39:17 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. How's the dog doing?

02:39:18 - 02:39:22 | Speaker 2:

Much, much better. Thank you. I really appreciate you guys taking care of everything.

02:39:22 - 02:39:31 | Speaker 3:

Well, actually, that's why I'm calling. I talked to the people over at the veterinarian hospital, and they said that we're not responsible for getting the dog sick.

02:39:32 - 02:39:37 | Speaker 2:

That? Wait a minute. What do you mean you're not responsible?

02:39:37 - 02:39:41 | Speaker 3:

Uh, they said that you must have exposed the dog to another sick dog.

02:39:41 - 02:39:51 | Speaker 2:

Ah, no. That would not be the case. We only had, you remember, when we bought the dog, we'd had the dog for four days.

02:39:51 - 02:40:06 | Speaker 3:

Right. But your vet talked to my vet, and they agreed that the dog was in good health when it was taken home from our pet store, and therefore we're not paying the vet bills as we... first agreed to me received your complaint uh how could they agree that the dog was in good health

02:40:06 - 02:40:10 | Speaker 2:

when they left your pet store i don't know i leave it to the professionals and i talk to the doctors

02:40:10 - 02:40:18 | Speaker 3:

they said no deal well hang on buddy that's not the way it works the exposure came from all the

02:40:18 - 02:40:24 | Speaker 2:

dogs there at the pet store i don't none of our dogs are sick we had nothing to do with it you

02:40:24 - 02:40:39 | Speaker 3:

are the irresponsible party isn't there some kind of guarantee on the dogs when they leave the store I mean, I didn't read all the fine print on this contract, but somewhere here there has got to be some kind of guarantee that...

02:40:39 - 02:40:49 | Speaker 2:

Well, any good company would honor, you know, obviously if you got a dog that was in poor health, we would take care of that. But we have a very knowledgeable staff, and your dog wasn't sick when you got it from the store.

02:40:50 - 02:41:02 | Speaker 3:

You know, I have to say, this is bullsh**. This is bullsh**. We'll take you, I mean, I don't even, this is not even small claims. $1,200 we're talking about here.

02:41:02 - 02:41:05 | Speaker 2:

Well, we're not paying you kibbles and bits. I mean, what are you going to do about it, tough guy?

02:41:08 - 02:41:10 | Speaker 3:

Now, who am I talking to again?

02:41:11 - 02:41:15 | Speaker 2:

My name's Clubber Lang. I'm the manager. I think you were talking to my associate, Charles.

02:41:16 - 02:41:17 | Speaker 3:

You're the manager?

02:41:17 - 02:41:18 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:41:18 - 02:41:19 | Speaker 3:

And you talk to me like that?

02:41:20 - 02:41:34 | Speaker 2:

Well, we see people all the time trying to, you know, weasel us out of money and try and get a free pet. That's not how it works. This isn't the SPCA. You want to do charity work, take a dog from the SPCA. You want to pay for a dog that's been bred for quality and health, then you come here.

02:41:36 - 02:41:47 | Speaker 3:

All right. You know what? I'm at work right now. I don't have time for this bullsh**, but here's what we will do. We will have our lawyer contact your store tomorrow.

02:41:47 - 02:41:50 | Speaker 2:

Please do, and I'll tell them the same thing I told you.

02:41:50 - 02:42:06 | Speaker 3:

You have to understand that any time you run a place like that where you have all those dogs that your license is the only thing you have. If we get you shut down, it's going to be a lot more than $1,200.

02:42:06 - 02:42:25 | Speaker 2:

We have over 40 dogs, and none of them have a sniffle. So how are you going to say that our dogs got you sick? Your dog was in poor health after you took it home, and you must have exposed it to somebody now. All right, all right. I'm not paying you or your wife one cent for that stupid dog, and I don't want to see the bitch in my store again. Or your dog either.

02:42:25 - 02:42:28 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to have to get off the phone now because I'm at work.

02:42:28 - 02:42:31 | Speaker 2:

All right, do whatever you got to do, Rambo. Have your team of lawyers call me.

02:42:31 - 02:42:32 | Unknown:

F*** you.

02:42:33 - 02:42:37 | Speaker 2:

And don't bring your disease down here because you already hurt one dog with whatever it is you're spreading.

02:42:37 - 02:42:38 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:42:38 - 02:42:40 | Speaker 2:

And you know what I'll tell your lawyers when they call?

02:42:40 - 02:42:41 | Speaker 3:

Are we done?

02:42:41 - 02:42:44 | Speaker 2:

I'll tell them you've just been the victim of a Mojo on the Morning phone scan.

02:42:46 - 02:42:47 | Unknown:

Say that again, please.

02:42:48 - 02:42:55 | Speaker 2:

This is Spike from the Mojo on the Morning show. You're on the radio right now. And your lovely wife, Missy, set you up for a phone scan.

02:42:55 - 02:43:06 | Speaker 3:

Oh, God. I know what this is. This is payback now for my birthday.

02:43:09 - 02:43:12 | Speaker 2:

It's pretty good payback, too. What were you thinking?

02:43:14 - 02:43:22 | Speaker 3:

I thought, well, you know, I thought it was legit. I thought we were going to have a lawyer involved and have a dog.

02:43:22 - 02:43:24 | Speaker 2:

No, what were you really thinking?

02:43:24 - 02:43:27 | Speaker 3:

I was going to reach through this phone and strangle his mother.

02:43:31 - 02:43:41 | Speaker 4:

We will, we will scam you. You're home with the phone scams. The world famous. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:43:42 - 02:43:46 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning. So going to the movies, got something good to see?

02:43:46 - 02:44:00 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, well, John Wick, Chapter 4, still in theaters. I'm sure that'll do like crazy well. Dungeons and Dragons, Honor Among Thieves is out. And then a movie that I really want to see is called Spinning Gold. It's the true story of, Spike, this has you written all over, Casablanca Records.

02:44:00 - 02:44:04 | Speaker 2:

I'm already all over it. Anything music documentary style, I love it.

02:44:04 - 02:44:18 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so Casablanca Records gave us superstars like Donna Summer, Gladys Knight, Kiss. Jason Derulo is part of the cast. Wiz Khalifa, Jay Farrow. It's being called the greatest music story never told. But you can get the full experience for Spinning Gold in theaters this weekend.

02:44:19 - 02:44:32 | Speaker 4:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX, Mesquite, and Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo, three great stations, one stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning, live.

02:44:39 - 02:44:58 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning, find out who wins throwback throwdown coming up in a second. All right, it's that time, the time where Shannon brings the kids in studio and we tell her kids all kinds of crazy things that they're not supposed to be saying at home. Inappropriate language.

02:44:59 - 02:45:00 | Speaker 1:

Well, that sweeper just...

02:45:00 - 02:45:06 | Speaker 2:

said stupid and smith was like they just said the s word oh i come on smith i've heard you've used

02:45:06 - 02:45:22 | Speaker 4:

some words before do you ever use any words that you're not supposed to maybe maybe what are the i'm gonna get what are the words actually i'm more i'm more worried about getting in trouble with the fcc yeah yeah that's what i'm worried um and lucy hello to lucy because lucy i haven't

02:45:22 - 02:45:29 | Speaker 3:

seen you in forever what's going on uh my birthday's next week whoa and how old are you gonna be

02:45:30 - 02:45:30 | Speaker 1:

Nine.

02:45:30 - 02:45:32 | Speaker 3:

Wow. Nine going on 17.

02:45:32 - 02:45:33 | Speaker 1:

Yep.

02:45:34 - 02:45:36 | Speaker 3:

What's the big gift you won on your birthday?

02:45:39 - 02:45:41 | Speaker 1:

Legos? Yeah, Legos. I just like Legos. I love it.

02:45:42 - 02:45:52 | Speaker 4:

Legos are cool. You never grow out of Legos, Lucy. You have them for the rest of your life. Lucy, I understand that sometimes your mom can be quite embarrassing. Is there any truth to that?

02:45:53 - 02:45:53 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

02:45:54 - 02:45:57 | Speaker 4:

What is the most embarrassing thing your mom's ever done to you?

02:46:00 - 02:46:08 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. Maybe, like, what do you do to me that, like... Ask you about boys. Oh, yeah.

02:46:08 - 02:46:08 | Speaker 4:

Oh, boy.

02:46:09 - 02:46:21 | Speaker 1:

And, like, sometimes, like, when I get off the bus, she'll always, like, sometimes, like, once you did this funny dance, and I was like, nope, nope, not looking at that. So then I just ran home. Yeah.

02:46:22 - 02:46:25 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. We heard yesterday she had a silly mask on when she was driving.

02:46:25 - 02:46:32 | Speaker 1:

And I was in the car. I was like, hmm, I wonder what people, like, other people think of you driving with that on.

02:46:33 - 02:46:37 | Speaker 4:

And then you see what they're thinking. They're thinking, what is that lady doing?

02:46:37 - 02:46:42 | Speaker 1:

Like, what does she have on her face? Like, that's not normal.

02:46:42 - 02:46:50 | Speaker 4:

All right, now is your time to get back at her. What would be something that your mom would think would be embarrassing that she would not want you to tell us?

02:46:50 - 02:46:57 | Speaker 1:

that she would rather sleep with Mr. West than me.

02:46:57 - 02:47:24 | Speaker 4:

Oh, wait a second, Mommy. Oh, my God. Mr. West, I thought, come on. Smith do you agree with that Is there anything else that you can add to this story Smith of something that would embarrass

02:47:24 - 02:47:27 | Speaker 1:

Am I embarrassing Yes

02:47:27 - 02:47:33 | Speaker 4:

What embarrasses you that your mom does Does she wear something silly

02:47:33 - 02:47:37 | Speaker 1:

No she walks into my school Like a crazy person Really

02:47:37 - 02:47:48 | Speaker 4:

We've witnessed that around here too Yeah Not crazy person it's just how mama is But you love your mommy Right

02:47:48 - 02:47:50 | Speaker 1:

Yes, although she can yell.

02:47:50 - 02:47:55 | Speaker 4:

She can yell. We can hear her yelling sometimes. Let's imitate her yell. What does she yell?

02:47:56 - 02:48:03 | Speaker 1:

Sometimes she yells, I'm not being a mom anymore. Or she'll get really mad and she'll say a really bad word.

02:48:03 - 02:48:08 | Speaker 4:

Oh. No, no, no, no. She knows what she's not supposed to say. What does it start with? What letters does it start with?

02:48:08 - 02:48:15 | Speaker 1:

I do not say that. I do not say that. Oh, boy. Yeah, once. Yeah, once. Sometimes, what else do you say?

02:48:15 - 02:48:16 | Unknown:

I don't know.

02:48:16 - 02:48:16 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:48:16 - 02:48:18 | Speaker 1:

But I've heard you say the F word.

02:48:18 - 02:48:23 | Speaker 4:

Wow. Fun, right? She says fun. Is that the F word? Yes. Of course.

02:48:23 - 02:48:25 | Speaker 1:

She says F-U. Oh.

02:48:27 - 02:48:55 | Speaker 4:

Smith, any truth to that? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. All right. Well, you guys, by the way, it's so funny how you guys are the spitting image of your parents, too. Lucy, you're like your mom's mini me, and Smith, you are your dad's. Yep. Yep. Yeah. It's so cute. Oh, my gosh. You guys want candy? Let's get them all sugared up. Yay! Did you tell them what you're doing? Are you going to tell them? No? Oh, okay.

02:48:55 - 02:48:57 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's why Mr. West turned up the radio.

02:48:58 - 02:49:01 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Oh, is there a surprise coming up? Your mom's taking you guys.

02:49:01 - 02:49:04 | Speaker 1:

But I want to tell you something, and Mommy has to leave for it.

02:49:04 - 02:49:05 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah?

02:49:05 - 02:49:11 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. Yes, yes, yes. You have to leave. Step into the Mojo in the Morning confessional over here.

02:49:12 - 02:49:19 | Speaker 4:

Hold on a second. Hold on a second. All right. There goes Shannon. Okay, she's walking out of the room. All right, go ahead.

02:49:19 - 02:49:24 | Speaker 3:

She's going to lock her up in the soundproof booth, Mojo. All right, hold on. Hold on a second. She can't hear the conversation.

02:49:24 - 02:49:28 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, hold on. She's locked up. All right, all right.

02:49:29 - 02:49:50 | Speaker 1:

So Mom always gets us really good for April Fool's Day. So Mr. West, this morning, he got silly string, and he had these, like, things in his car. And what we did is before Mom came to pick us up, We silly stringed her car, and we put, like, the things on it for April Fool's Day, but I still have, like, more tricks for her. Whoa, whoa, whoa.

02:49:50 - 02:49:52 | Speaker 4:

And when she came out to get it. Where did you silly string her?

02:49:53 - 02:49:55 | Speaker 1:

We stringed, we got her car.

02:49:55 - 02:49:56 | Speaker 4:

In the parking lot here?

02:49:56 - 02:49:56 | Unknown:

Uh-huh.

02:49:56 - 02:49:58 | Speaker 4:

My car was parked right next to that car.

02:49:59 - 02:50:02 | Speaker 1:

Wait, was it the black? The back one? Yes. We got a little bit of sleep. Oh, my God.

02:50:03 - 02:50:08 | Speaker 2:

You want to hear an F word? I got a couple of those coming out. And what's the thing you put on her car?

02:50:09 - 02:50:18 | Speaker 1:

Oh, we also put, please be patient, like a student driver. That's awesome. I even hear her say, no, I'm a horrible driver.

02:50:19 - 02:50:23 | Speaker 4:

You really like April Fool's Day, don't you? Yeah. Yeah, you got some good jokes ready.

02:50:24 - 02:50:27 | Speaker 1:

But even she said she went soft last year. Yeah.

02:50:27 - 02:50:35 | Speaker 4:

You're not going to go soft this year, are you? Does Mr. West know that silly strings not go down vinyl surfaces and sometimes leave marks? He's the only one.

02:50:35 - 02:50:43 | Speaker 2:

Are you reading a disclaimer right now? Yes, I'm very much your one. By the way, we locked your mom out the front door, so she's not coming back.

02:50:44 - 02:50:48 | Speaker 4:

Shannon, like, all cute, but there's a crazy side, too.

02:50:48 - 02:51:10 | Speaker 2:

That chick is a ticking time bomb. Get out of the building. This is Mojo in the Morning. All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. so you were texting back and forth with your girlfriend spike and something strange happened that uh that could potentially have caused for an issue in the relationship yeah it caused a

02:51:10 - 02:51:27 | Speaker 4:

little confusion it could have been worse but um i use talk to text or voice to text all the time especially when i'm driving i don't know about you guys but i just talk to my phone i say you know text natalie ask her about dinner you know just i just talk to my phone and let it have we

02:51:27 - 02:51:37 | Speaker 2:

become our parents because isn't that what the old people do the old the olds do i don't know if my parents could figure that out do the olds do voice to text or is that uh the youngs i would

02:51:37 - 02:51:43 | Speaker 3:

say it's more the old it's the old see to me i do it too texting takes too long texting takes too

02:51:43 - 02:51:54 | Speaker 2:

long so that's why i like talk to text the problem though is you know when i'm talking to text because it does punctuation marks that are appropriate everything's spelled right mojo must have been

02:51:54 - 02:51:59 | Speaker 3:

doing voice to text well you need to know how large the font is on your phone oh i wouldn't

02:51:59 - 02:54:19 | Speaker 4:

yeah i wouldn't it drives me crazy when people change the font i don't care how old i get i'm never gonna do that because it looks so horrible i was like steve jobs would roll over in his grave if he saw what you're doing to his beautiful technology and people can read it from across the room yeah it's that if it's large enough so i was you know just at the red light and i yesterday i was trying to tell megan what time i'd be home and it almost broke us up she got the strangest message from me and then i went dark and didn't answer her for almost an hour and it took me a minute to figure out what the hell happened when i finally came back to my phone and i and i saw it but what happened was i was just at the light outside planet fitness and i was i just texted I said I'm leaving work at three hitting the store and then I'll be home oh no that's her message to me okay my message to her was I'll be home around 3 30 or so found the cheater who ruined everything and wants you back no chance in hell honey it's Justin right so she gets this and she replies say what and then I don't say anything for like almost an hour and then when i picked up my phone again i was in the gym after working out and i was like oh what the hell is this i looked at i go what is that i didn't type that and then i figured out when i was leaving her the voice to text i think it picked up the dj on the radio that was introducing just like because i was going who's justin and then i remembered when i was leaving the message i was rocking out to um the radio had justin timberlake cry me a river and so i think the dj was saying like here's a song about you know he found the cheater who ruined everything and oh you know they want oh my god no chance this is justin timberlake so i did not understand what this text was it took me a minute to figure out that it picked up the voice on my radio while i was leaving the message so it started with me saying i'll be home around 3 30 or so and then i paused and i must not have hit stop on the voice the new talk to text by the way i hate it freaking despise it with the yeah if you're not aware update the new operating system it leaves it on for you in case you want to continue talk to text yeah so it drives me nuts it keeps picking up more audio until you hit send so in this case it picked up the radio

02:54:19 - 02:54:38 | Speaker 2:

dj introducing the song before i hit send right does has that ever burned you because uh has that ever gotten you, you know, got you to say something that you weren't supposed to be saying at that time that you thought that your talk to text was over with, you'll have to call us up. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. That is classic.

02:54:38 - 02:54:46 | Speaker 3:

By the way, you couldn't ask for probably a more random, like, eyebrow-raising text.

02:54:46 - 02:54:49 | Speaker 4:

It's Justin. She's like, what? What are you talking about?

02:54:49 - 02:54:59 | Speaker 3:

I told you the story about my friend Katie, who she has a little girl who's like three years old and it this new talk to text burned her because she was um texting her son's

02:55:00 - 02:55:21 | Speaker 8:

teach her about something and then turned into the backseat to talk to her little girl and was like, oh, baby, you are the sweetest girl. I just love you so much. You are a princess. You are beautiful. I love you. Whatever, you know, baby voice she was using. And it translated into text to her son's teacher, which was so weird.

02:55:21 - 02:55:25 | Speaker 2:

That's an awkward parent-teacher conference. What's up, Tiffany?

02:55:26 - 02:55:27 | Speaker 4:

Hey, good morning, fellas. Morning.

02:55:28 - 02:55:32 | Speaker 2:

What's going on? Fellas and ladies, what's going on? Girls and gals, what's going on?

02:55:32 - 02:55:48 | Speaker 4:

Exactly. No, my mom does the same thing. Like, she does the voice, the text, and her messages don't come out clear at all. So if I, like, call her back to see what she's trying to say, she yells at me and says, I should know what she's trying to say. I don't know what she's trying to say.

02:55:49 - 02:55:51 | Speaker 1:

It's your fault for not interpreting correctly.

02:55:52 - 02:55:53 | Speaker 4:

Exactly. Exactly. See?

02:55:54 - 02:55:57 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for the call. Appreciate it, Tiffany. What's up, Pete?

02:55:58 - 02:56:25 | Speaker 6:

Yo. So two years ago, I had my new boss. She had just come in. She was coming in and doing stuff and then was leaving and sent a text, voice-to-text. Right as she was finishing up, somebody cut her off. So she said, hey, thanks a lot, a-hole. And I was like, man, I was like, you know, I've been called pretty worse by Les. You know, and she's, oh, my God, now one of my best friends in the world. But, yeah, it started with a voice-to-text a-hole. You know what, Pete?

02:56:25 - 02:56:35 | Speaker 2:

I want to know this. Why is it that I can't spell in my own personal texting swear words, but if I voice to text it, it will do it?

02:56:35 - 02:56:45 | Speaker 6:

It will do it, but on mine, because I have a smarter phone, so mine actually blocks everything out. So it's just like star, star, star.

02:56:45 - 02:56:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really? Really? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wait, do you have a lot of people that swear at you that you have to do that?

02:56:51 - 02:56:54 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, a lot of people swear at me. I work in the medical field. Everybody's swearing at you.

02:56:54 - 02:56:55 | Speaker 2:

Everybody's swearing at you?

02:56:55 - 02:56:57 | Speaker 1:

That must be a good setting to have.

02:56:58 - 02:57:02 | Speaker 6:

Crap. What are you doing? What are you doing? All right, guys. Have a good day. All right. Take care, Pete.

02:57:03 - 02:57:11 | Speaker 1:

My phone just finally realized I'm not talking about ducks and ducking. And it just finally realized, okay, we'll just give you the word you want.

02:57:11 - 02:57:15 | Speaker 2:

See, mine doesn't do it on text. It only will do it for the voice thing.

02:57:15 - 02:57:15 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:57:15 - 02:57:23 | Speaker 2:

And it really irritates me. And so I'll have to, like, correct it a couple of times or do the voice to text at that particular time.

02:57:23 - 02:57:24 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:57:24 - 02:57:35 | Speaker 2:

But in my car, you know what's amazing? The Chevy Tahoe that I have. Chevy's, you know, Apple Play or whatever it is, does an amazing job.

02:57:35 - 02:57:35 | Speaker 8:

It does.

02:57:36 - 02:57:44 | Speaker 2:

Stellar job. Because you have a GM product too, right? I have a Buick, yeah. Stellar job of texting and doing the voice-to-text thing, which honestly is so much safer.

02:57:44 - 02:57:54 | Speaker 1:

I think it might just be that AirPlay app because I have it in the Kia too. It does it too? Really, it's a game-changer, except for the new update that picks up radio DJs.

02:57:54 - 02:57:57 | Speaker 2:

Shandala? Yes. What's happening?

02:57:58 - 02:57:59 | Speaker 7:

Not much.

02:58:00 - 02:58:03 | Speaker 2:

Shandala, have you ever had voice-to-text kind of burn you?

02:58:04 - 02:58:31 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, a little bit. So I used to be a flatbed truck driver, and I had hurt my back. So I was texting my safety manager using voice-to-text, And what I said was, I will let you know if I can't twerk. And it changed it to, I will let you know if I can twerk. He was all like, wait, what?

02:58:33 - 02:59:09 | Speaker 2:

That would be a funny one, too, to send. That's great. That's the other thing with voice-to-text. I think that it knows that I have a speech impediment because it doesn't pick up exactly what I'm saying. sometimes and it screws me up but you know i will say this i use the voice to write uh letters to people or emails or like like you know if i'm having to write like because my punctuation and all that stuff is so bad and it's faster and it's so much faster i know and to be perfectly honest with you i look smart when i do it except for when i say something and it doesn't pick up the word

02:59:09 - 02:59:46 | Speaker 5:

listener megan what's up yes yes so i my dad was wondering how they poured some concrete on our front porch in a house we just built so i sent him a video and he wrote me back oh i see how they did it now that's cool no no no you mother effer no no no so i immediately text him back are you okay and he was like yeah why so i called well i guess his cat had jumped on the counter And knocked a whole bunch of stuff off And he sent it to me He had no idea So I screenshotted it And we take it out every now and then And look at it Because it was hilarious

02:59:46 - 02:59:48 | Speaker 2:

Your dad loves that cat, doesn't he?

02:59:48 - 02:59:52 | Speaker 5:

Oh, he knows it's an outdoor cat now And it just looks at him through the windows Every night

02:59:52 - 02:59:56 | Speaker 2:

All because of that one moment or no?

02:59:56 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 5:

Multiple moments like that And then he had enough one day And he threw it out

03:00:00 - 03:00:01 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, wow. All right.

03:00:01 - 03:00:01 | Speaker 2:

Yep.

03:00:02 - 03:00:04 | Speaker 3:

Thanks for the call. Here we go.

03:00:04 - 03:00:07 | Speaker 2:

My daughter's favorite singer in the entire world, Shawn Mendes. Treat you better.

03:02:13 - 03:02:18 | Speaker 4:

I'm saying, baby, please stand mercy on me Shannon

03:02:18 - 03:02:19 | Speaker 3:

Shannon

03:02:19 - 03:02:22 | Speaker 4:

It's Shawn Mendes Three seconds

03:02:22 - 03:02:25 | Speaker 3:

Mercy? Yes! Yes!

03:02:26 - 03:02:50 | Speaker 5:

Wow, he's the name of that song, and I love him. Take it easy on my heart Yeah, yeah. Now you don't mean to hurt me You keep tearing me apart Would you please have mercy, mercy on my heart Would you please have mercy, mercy on my heart

03:02:50 - 03:03:04 | Speaker 3:

All right, on board. Next song in the Mojo in the Morning, throw back, a throw down. Pick it up a little bit. Let me pick it up a little bit.

03:03:08 - 03:03:17 | Speaker 4:

Is Spike. Ashanti and Javrul always on time. Correct answer. Nice.

03:03:21 - 03:03:24 | Speaker 3:

You were very careful. That was good. I like that.

03:03:24 - 03:03:30 | Speaker 4:

Like, I think job rules in 99% of Ashanti songs. Holla.

03:03:35 - 03:03:45 | Speaker 3:

All right. Got a good one going here. KP, why are you at that microphone? You don't like the other one over there?

03:04:11 - 03:04:14 | Speaker 1:

03:04:14 - 03:04:22 | Speaker 3:

The next song In the Mojo in the Morning Throwback Throwdown Is

03:04:22 - 03:04:31 | Speaker 5:

Um, Megan.

03:04:31 - 03:04:32 | Speaker 3:

Megan.

03:04:32 - 03:04:33 | Speaker 5:

Drake, one dance.

03:04:34 - 03:04:36 | Speaker 3:

You get technical on this one.

03:04:37 - 03:04:49 | Speaker 2:

Got to. Shannon. Shannon.

03:04:49 - 03:04:52 | Speaker 4:

I have no idea, but Drake, one dance in parentheses. He's O.T.

03:05:00 - 03:05:05 | Speaker 3:

03:05:05 - 03:05:12 | Speaker 6:

03:05:12 - 03:05:24 | Speaker 4:

spike spike drake and dia one dance

03:05:24 - 03:05:28 | Speaker 1:

These are all things I would have said

03:05:28 - 03:05:44 | Speaker 2:

Come on Mr. DJ I don't know

03:05:44 - 03:06:18 | Speaker 6:

Drake one dance in parentheses One time You would have gotten it right if you called your name out But no I'm just joking No, it is Drake, Wizkid, and Kyla, One Dance. Are you kidding me? I know. I know. I see the points. Here's the problem. Give me the points. No, I always do this. I always will technically not put their names in there because it doesn't matter. But then I read, when I look up on Billboard to see what the actual official title is, I read that that's what he wanted.

03:06:18 - 03:06:28 | Speaker 5:

You just hate me. I need you to admit that you want me to lose this game. And you know what, Mojo, you are not hurting me. You're hurting Jessica, and I want you to know that.

03:06:28 - 03:06:29 | Speaker 6:

Jessica, I'm sorry.

03:06:30 - 03:06:31 | Speaker 5:

You are punishing her, not me.

03:06:32 - 03:06:40 | Speaker 6:

She is not very good at, you know, maybe give her just a little pat on the back for attagirl. Like, give her an attagirl.

03:06:40 - 03:06:43 | Speaker 5:

No, tell Jessica you hate her. Tell her you hate her.

03:06:43 - 03:06:44 | Speaker 6:

No, no.

03:06:44 - 03:06:45 | Speaker 5:

Tell her you don't want Jessica to win.

03:06:45 - 03:06:47 | Speaker 6:

Jessica, I want Jimmy to win.

03:06:47 - 03:06:48 | Unknown:

Jimmy.

03:06:48 - 03:06:58 | Speaker 6:

Sorry, Jimmy. All right, no, here we go. Nobody gets that one. Next song in the Mojo in the Morning Throwback, Throwdown Is

03:06:58 - 03:07:04 | Speaker 1:

Oh, oh, oh He's got peanut butter in his mouth Wait Shannon

03:07:04 - 03:07:05 | Speaker 6:

Shannon

03:07:05 - 03:07:06 | Speaker 5:

Zane, Pillow Talk

03:07:06 - 03:07:23 | Speaker 6:

Correct answer With Kyla and WizKid I thought Megan got all of the One Directioners. Honestly, I'm so heated

03:07:23 - 03:07:25 | Speaker 4:

about the Drake thing, I don't even know if I can

03:07:25 - 03:07:33 | Speaker 6:

recover. Oh, is that what it is? Yeah. I think that's what it is. Did I grind your gears?

03:07:33 - 03:07:38 | Speaker 4:

Back Monday. We will see you then. Yes. Can I just say really quickly, congratulations to my girlfriend Meg's dad. Mark retires today, 17 years at Vox and 50 years in the automotive industry career. So, I mean, it's going to be a nice celebration today, which means beer for me. I like that. Will he be spending more time then with you now that he's retired? He says he's going to be around a lot more often.

03:10:46 - 03:10:48 | Speaker 3:

Is that a good thing or a bad thing with him?

03:10:48 - 03:10:52 | Speaker 6:

03:10:52 - 03:10:55 | Speaker 3:

Anybody got anything this weekend that they want to plug? Anybody doing? Yeah.

03:10:55 - 03:11:21 | Speaker 2:

It's opening day today in downtown Toledo. So we're going to be out. Perfect weather. Yeah, no. Tell me about it. But I've done many Mud Hens opening days. And actually, it's a doubleheader. So it's a Mud Hens and a walleye game today. So I know downtown is going to be packed with people just like when it snows for opening day or rains or whatever it is. Yeah. But if you see any of our stations out, I think we have some walleye tickets for tonight still, too. And some T-shirts and other fun goodies. And I know I have Celsius. So if you see me, say hi.

03:11:21 - 03:11:43 | Speaker 3:

My favorite is the little note to get out of work early for opening day that the Mud Hens put together. It's perfect. I saw MLB was doing that yesterday, too, for opening day for the MLB. All right. Have a great one. We'll see you. Bye. 20-plus years of idiocy and still going in Detroit, Toledo, and West Michigan.

03:11:43 - 03:11:45 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the Morning.

This time I talk to scientists, biopunks, curmudgeons, blues owners, super seniors, and Goa's top cryotherapy lab to try to understand this obsession with living forever and what it means for all of us. And I get into a bit of trouble along the way.
