00:02:47 - 00:03:00 | Speaker 6:

Let me take y'all back to the beginning. This is it.

00:03:01 - 00:03:02 | Speaker 7:

All right, are you ready?

00:03:02 - 00:03:04 | Speaker 6:

You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

00:03:05 - 00:03:50 | Speaker 7:

You're a doo-doo hat. It's showtime! Can we just start? Are these mics working? We got it. We're on. We live? We're live. We're here. What's up? It's opening day. Detroit Tigers baseball. Let's go. And we're broadcasting live on field from beautiful Comerica Park, home of your wild card Detroit Tigers from last year that ended up winning the first series. and then, you know, hey, we're building towards this year. This year we've got to win, and then we've got to go to the World Series. That's the whole point, right? Built different this year. We're right at the first base.

00:03:50 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 5:

We have already been told 18 times, if we touch the grass, they're kicking us out of here.

00:03:57 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 7:

By the way, Kevin, this is the first time that you and I will ever get to make it to first base with Shannon. I just want to get to know.

00:04:03 - 00:04:10 | Speaker 5:

You're not even making it that far. We are near first base. She's married. I've got to respect to her. It's not even near. We're not even there.

00:04:10 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 7:

There's not even a base out there. They don't even give us a base.

00:04:13 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 5:

This is all accurate.

00:04:14 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 7:

But yeah, Shannon, you're right. Shannon, they said, if we touch the grass, our ass is grass. By the way, do you see the helicopter? That's Sky Fox 4 and 7. I think they all share the same helicopter, but they're up in the sky right now. It's like an Uber X. It's pretty much. It's whichever station calls it at that time. The TV stations are broadcasting live, which is pretty cool, too. And we've got a whole set of things to get to, including this morning giving you tickets to come to the game. So the game's sold out. The only way you're getting tickets is by winning them with us. I'll tell you more about that after we get done with the Friday remix. Are you ready for Friday? It's an opening day remix. If you're not on beat today like you weren't last week. Yeah, it was bad. We're switching up. I hope you practice. I was sick. I'm focused now. Megan and Shannon are doing it.

00:05:00 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 4:

it from now on if that doesn't happen, because they did it on beat last night. Please be good. Here we go. Let's go.

00:05:05 - 00:05:32 | Speaker 3:

Weekend. Weekend. Weekend. Here comes the weekend. Here comes the weekend. Here comes the weekend. I'm gonna rock your world. Come on, y'all. It is now time. Make some noise. What? Welcome to the weekend. You are listening to Hello, the Mojo in the morning. Hello, everybody. It's the weekend, bitches.

00:05:34 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 4:

Take me out to the malls. Game. Let's go.

00:05:40 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 3:

Come on. I'm going to be on beat this time. It is opening day. Let's do it.

00:05:46 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 4:

Welcome to the Mojo, the Mojo in the morning show. This is opening day, Mojo in the morning show. Live from Comerica Park, Mojo in the morning show. We have got your mojo. Mojo in the morning show. Opening day. No strikeouts on this show. Mojo in the morning show. Give me Peanuts, Cracker Jacks, and the Friday remix.

00:06:11 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 3:

It's a brand slam remix, baby.

00:06:13 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 4:

Let's go, Tigers. It's time.

00:06:15 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 3:

Come on. This is the Mojo in the morning show. This is the Mojo in the morning show. This is the Mojo in the morning show. This is the Mojo in the Morning Show!

00:06:35 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 4:

And Rhonda Walker just looked at you when you were doing that? I think she was hot for you, buddy. Hey, man, she looks amazing. Even better in person and on TV. Isn't she gorgeous? By the way, she just said something to me real quick before we went live and did the remix. She's going to the bathroom, and it looked like she's literally going to the bullpen. Are they peeing in the bullpen? It wouldn't be the first person they did that, I promise you. Do we know where the bathroom is in this place? I don't know. They've got a huge construction project going on. We're live at Comerica Park. They're building these super, like, unbelievable seats behind home plate. Actually, they're all done. The seats are all done. But they've got a club that's being built right now. And it's, you know, wrapping up this season. And these seats are heated and cooled. Rich seats. These are rich people's seats.

00:07:21 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 3:

It's the first class.

00:07:22 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 4:

You see the cushion? These are like Sam Bernstein sitting in those seats, you know what I mean?

00:07:26 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 2:

You don't have to worry about where the bathroom is because based on your history this week, you can just pee on the field. Just go pee on the field. Go pee in the seat right there.

00:07:35 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 3:

Fertilize it.

00:07:35 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 4:

By the way, if I do, just hope that they don't have a ring camera around here. They don't put it right on that big new jumbotron screen. Actually, I think Channel 7's got a camera facing this way right now. Welcome to Comerica Park. I don't know if I can actually push buttons with gloves, but my hands are so frozen, And I'm thinking to myself, I might have Lester push the buttons today.

00:07:55 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, definitely grab a coat if you're coming down today. And maybe some gloves and a hat. That would be smart.

00:08:00 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 4:

Although Jackie Page on WWJ this morning said that this will be the warmest opening day that we've had since, I think it was, I don't even know what deer is. Oh, my God, hold on. You're a legend.

00:08:13 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 2:

It's going to get up into the 50s.

00:08:17 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 4:

Oh, can I just say hi real quick to you? This is, by the way, the best, what is the title, the greenskeeper? I guess that's a...

00:08:25 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 1:

Head groundskeeper. Head groundskeeper.

00:08:27 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 4:

I was like thinking of a golf course or something like that. Tell everybody who you are.

00:08:30 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 1:

Heather Nabosny, head groundskeeper of the Detroit Tigers. Let's go, Heather.

00:08:33 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 2:

I've been here for a long time, haven't you, Heather? 26 years. Yeah. Yeah.

00:08:37 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 4:

And you're a legend. Were you one of the first women that had this job?

00:08:42 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 1:

Very correct, yes.

00:08:43 - 00:08:47 | Speaker 4:

How many women have any other teams hired?

00:08:47 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, there's one in Baltimore. She's probably been there, gosh, close to 15, 20 years now, I think.

00:08:52 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 4:

Heather, your grass looks amazing, and I've got to be honest with you. I want to, like, every person would love to have their yard look like this. Does your yard at home look like this?

00:09:01 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 1:

It does not.

00:09:02 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 4:

Do you just have, like, stones and stuff like this?

00:09:04 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 1:

A stone somewhere, yeah, and mulch, and I have a lot of trees, and I'm in Royal Oak, so it's a nice small lawn. Oh, that's cool. That's nice.

00:09:11 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 4:

Well, you do a great job. Yes, you do. You're beautiful, and I know you've got a lot of craziness because you've got a lot of concerts this year here, too.

00:09:16 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 1:

Yes, we do. We've got a couple Jonas Brothers, I believe, and Lumineers. That's amazing.

00:09:21 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 4:

Well, this is unbelievable. It's a beautiful first game of the year, opening day game. I can't believe how gorgeous everything is. The seats turned out nice. Heated and cooled. Are you going to sit in any of those?

00:09:31 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 1:

I may.

00:09:32 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 4:

You know, I'll see what tomorrow's temperatures are like. I've always wanted to know this. When there is rain coming and the men and women have to push out the tarps and stuff, what is the time of that?

00:09:43 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 1:

Like how long?

00:09:44 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 4:

How long does it take them to do it?

00:09:45 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 1:

I haven't timed us because we're so busy running around, but I think I heard Dan Dickerson say a minute and a half. Holy cow, that is impressive. It doesn't seem right, but I know it all goes very fast. That goes faster than Mojo.

00:10:00 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 8:

believe me you do now i'd be the guy like i've seen it before in the bloopers or sports center

00:10:05 - 00:10:09 | Speaker 1:

Are you kidding me? You don't even have coffee. Can I tell you, I was looking for tiger stuff today. All my tiger stuff is warm weather. So I don't have, yeah, so I had nothing tigers in my house.

00:11:06 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 9:

Well, I had to wear a hat because I knew I was going to be so bundled that I had some cute sweatshirts and stuff, but they weren't going to see them.

00:11:11 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 8:

They're giving out free rally towels. So everybody that comes in, you'll get a rally towel. You can use that.

00:11:16 - 00:11:29 | Speaker 9:

And by the way, if you do like sports merch or Tigers merch, I'm looking. They have a whole bunch of little pop-ups and stuff set up around Comerica. They have really, really cute stuff, ladies, like that I've never seen before.

00:11:29 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 8:

Regina, what's up, Regina? It's Mojo in the morning. You're our first caller of our opening day. Hey, what's up? Hey, good morning. There you are. I was worried that you weren't there. What's going on?

00:11:41 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 1:

I just wanted to tell Kevin I'm glad that he's back on rhythm. You feel me?

00:11:47 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 8:

I've been hanging out with Mojo too much, man. I was falling off a little bit.

00:11:52 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 1:

It may be the girl, Kevin. It may be the girl.

00:11:56 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 8:

Girl or girl. I'm using my rhythm for other things. Yes. We love you. You're the best, Regina. Have a great morning. If you're going to want to come to the game, we got your tickets. We're giving them away, Lydia says, between 8.30 and 9. I'm just going to promote that big time. 8.30 and 9 o'clock. And Lydia, what is the contest called again?

00:12:21 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 1:

Hit it and quit it.

00:12:22 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 8:

Hit it and quit it. I like it. Find out what that's all about. Make sure you're listening to Mojo in the Morning, and we'll tell you more about it after 7 o'clock.

00:12:30 - 00:12:35 | Speaker 5:

It's Mojo in the Morning's Back in the Day. Let's go! Back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:12:35 - 00:12:41 | Speaker 8:

All right, this was the year that Justin Verlander won the American League MVP award for the Tigers.

00:12:41 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 4:

American League Cy Young Award winner Justin Verlander is adding the AL Most Valuable Player Award to his impressive resume. Detroit's ace right-hander is just the 10th pitcher to earn both awards in the same season. Did that guy have Swiss cheese in his bag? I shouted out of crazy.

00:12:57 - 00:13:03 | Speaker 7:

Bob's Burger is premiered this year. Now, who here thinks the hurricane was caused by something bad they did?

00:13:03 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 6:

What about you, Nicholas? That thing you told me? In confidence? Say it.

00:13:10 - 00:13:12 | Speaker 2:

I rubbed my genitals on the couch!

00:13:13 - 00:13:24 | Speaker 8:

And the big song, Party Rock Anthem. What year was this? Want to go see Nelly, Ja Rule, Chingy, and Eve at Pine Knob? Your chance to win.

00:13:25 - 00:13:51 | Speaker 5:

Good luck. Prove what a big brain you have. Tell us when that stuff happened. Call us at 844-MOJO-LIVE to tell us. 844-665-6548. It's opening day, and we might not suck this year. This is Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning. Testing your memory this early in the morning. This is Mojo's Back in the Day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:13:52 - 00:13:59 | Speaker 8:

Justin Verlander, man. That was the best pitching staff in baseball this year when Justin Verlander was the MVP along with Cy Young.

00:13:59 - 00:14:10 | Speaker 4:

American League Cy Young Award winner Justin Verlander is adding the AL Most Valuable Player Award to his impressive resume. Detroit's ace right-hander is just the 10th pitcher to earn both awards in the same season.

00:14:10 - 00:14:16 | Speaker 7:

What a season that was. Bob's Burger is premiered. Now, who here thinks the hurricane was caused by something bad they did?

00:14:16 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 6:

What about you, Nicholas? That thing you told me? In confidence? Say it.

00:14:23 - 00:14:25 | Speaker 2:

I rubbed my genitals on the couch!

00:14:26 - 00:14:42 | Speaker 8:

And the big song, LMFAO, Party Rock Anthem. Richard is on with us from Grand Rapids. Richard, what's happening, buddy? How are you? What's up? Good, how are you guys? We're in Comerica Park, downtown Detroit. Have you ever been to a Tigers game before?

00:14:43 - 00:14:54 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. I used to date a girl back in the day. They were the practice field in Lakeland, Florida. So I've done a few practice games and a couple home games.

00:14:54 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 8:

A couple of spring trainings, a couple of games. Well, let me get the ear from you, and then I'll tell you more about what you get.

00:15:00 - 00:15:31 | Speaker 2:

and what's going on here. What year was that? 2011. There you go. You're a winner. Congratulations. We're going to set you up with tickets to go see Nelly, Chingy, Ja Rule, and Eve all at Pine Knob. It's all part of our Mojo in the Morning throwback series. Congratulations, T. I want you to hang on the phone for a second, and we'll get some information. I'm looking out, Richard, at the new scoreboard, the Tigers' new scoreboard is all video. It's literally 100% video on there. It's pretty freaking awesome.

00:15:31 - 00:15:33 | Speaker 1:

It is really cool. It's huge. And huge, yes.

00:15:33 - 00:15:35 | Speaker 2:

Nice, nice, nice.

00:15:36 - 00:15:39 | Speaker 3:

It's pretty soon going to be all AI stuff anyway, so.

00:15:39 - 00:15:44 | Speaker 2:

Well, you know, maybe AI baseball players. I'll tell you what. I'll tell you a couple of them.

00:15:44 - 00:15:46 | Speaker 3:

You never know. You never know. That's pretty sweet.

00:15:46 - 00:15:52 | Speaker 2:

I'd like an AI Shohei Watani. I was trying to say that 10 times fast.

00:15:52 - 00:15:56 | Speaker 4:

Your next girlfriend may be AI down in Florida. You never know. Kevin.

00:15:56 - 00:16:01 | Speaker 2:

Hold on one second. What a beautiful scoreboard.

00:16:01 - 00:16:04 | Speaker 3:

I can't see it because Angela and Bianca big-headed asses.

00:16:04 - 00:16:37 | Speaker 2:

You can't see that. That's crazy. All right, text to win tickets to see Kendrick Lamar and SZA. We're going to do snooze for the word right now. S-N-O-O-Z-E, snooze. Text that to 95500. Standard text and data rates to apply. You have a chance to win a pair of tickets to see that show right there at Ford Field. I'm pointing. None of the listeners can ever see me. I am so excited for summertime. Why did it not happen on opening day?

00:16:37 - 00:16:42 | Speaker 4:

The sun is coming up, though. Can you see that? We don't get a chance to watch the sunrise in the studio. Today's going to be that day.

00:16:42 - 00:16:58 | Speaker 2:

You know what is honestly gorgeous about being down here and being outside like this? That Hudson's building that they're building is going to be one of the nicest skylines. That's beautiful, especially watching it over right field here in Comerica. Shannon's got the dirty. What do you got, Shannon?

00:16:58 - 00:18:05 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so this is really scary slash creepy all at the same time. Scarlett Johansson's stalker was arrested for threatening to bomb the SNL studio where her husband, Colin Jost, works. So this guy's name is Michael Joseph Branham. They always have to have a middle name when it's a stalker situation. He was busted in Manhattan on Wednesday afternoon for text messaging that this threat, and the threat specifically read, The next time you hear from me, I will be on CNN for exploding a bomb in the Saturday Night Live audience. It was texted to the messaging service at the university that he attends. And then this global security investor for NBCUniversal and 30 Rock, where the show is filmed, got the text, reported the text, obviously. So this guy was arrested. And if you want to hear something even creepier, when they arrested him and brought him to jail, you know, they had to, like, search him or whatever. He has scarlet tattooed with a heart, huge, on his torso. I mean, just weird. He was arraigned late last night in New York City criminal court on felony charges, held on $100,000 cash or $300,000 bond.

00:18:05 - 00:18:22 | Speaker 2:

When these guys do this thing, you wonder where the obsession starts. I mean, obviously, it's mental illness, these guys doing this thing. But like the Taylor Swift ones, you know, that always were getting into her homes, That's got to be just so petrifying for these, especially female celebrities.

00:18:22 - 00:18:50 | Speaker 1:

Giselle Bündchen and Joaquin Valente won't be making their red carpet debut at the Met Gala in May this year, despite everybody thinking that they absolutely will. They are not even planning on going, let alone walking the carpet. Sources telling me Giselle will not be attending one of the biggest nights in fashion. She actually didn't go last year either. But instead of posing on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, Giselle, and Joaquin are opting to spend their night at home with their new baby boy in Miami.

00:18:50 - 00:18:51 | Speaker 2:

Good for them. Stay home.

00:18:52 - 00:19:12 | Speaker 1:

And speaking of babies, because I know it's Mojo's favorite topic, celebrity babies, Michelle Williams, who's 44 years old, by the way, and her director husband quietly welcomed their third child together, welcomed about six weeks ago via a surrogate. And remember, she is also mom to the, I can't even say little girl anymore because she's 18 years old, but Matilda with the late Heath Ledger.

00:19:13 - 00:19:13 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:19:13 - 00:19:23 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I forgot about that. Like the movie Matilda? No. The daughter's name is Matilda. She used to be with Heath Ledger before he passed away. And they named their little girl Matilda. Great movie, by the way.

00:19:23 - 00:19:29 | Speaker 2:

So, question for you. When we're out here at Comerica Park, are we going to get to try all the new foods that they have?

00:19:29 - 00:19:31 | Speaker 1:

I hope so. And Kevin and I just looked at the list.

00:19:31 - 00:19:38 | Speaker 3:

And there's some really good stuff. They got a jerk chicken and mango vibe. An oven roasted with peach mango salsa. No, no, no.

00:19:38 - 00:19:41 | Speaker 1:

I love falafel. They've got a spicy falafel.

00:19:41 - 00:19:42 | Speaker 2:

But they always have to have.

00:19:42 - 00:19:43 | Speaker 1:

They've got lobster rolls.

00:19:43 - 00:19:47 | Speaker 2:

They also, but they have to have like something crazy, decadent, goofy.

00:19:48 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 1:

Smash burger. What about the Put-Me-In Coach? No, but that's all barbecue. I don't see anything that's like, oh wait, themed items. No, I don't know if there's like a big, weird, you know.

00:19:59 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:20:00 - 00:20:01 | Speaker 5:

shock value item.

00:20:01 - 00:20:02 | Speaker 4:

I don't see that on here.

00:20:03 - 00:20:05 | Speaker 2:

I saw the executive chef kind of hanging out there, so we'll have to get him on.

00:20:06 - 00:20:06 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, for sure.

00:20:07 - 00:20:15 | Speaker 2:

All right. Well, hey, we got those opening day tickets and we're going to tell you how you can win them with Hit It and Quit It. We'll be doing that later this morning, but that's it for your dirty, huh?

00:20:15 - 00:20:20 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, for all of today's dirty, for all of this week's dirty, catch up by checking out the podcast. Search Mojo in the Morning in the free iHeartRadio app.

00:20:21 - 00:20:41 | Speaker 1:

Celebrity Dirt. Directly from the source. It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Go freeze your ass off and get $10 hot dogs in honor of our baseball team. Get your beer here. Go Tigers. Ice cold beer over here. This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:20:44 - 00:20:44 | Speaker 3:

Accurate.

00:20:46 - 00:21:03 | Speaker 2:

What's going on? It is a little chilly. It is chilly. That's all right, though. You know what's funny is that the idea of us being here freezing our asses off is because we do it for the listeners. We care about you. That's right. We know that the show sounds that much better.

00:21:03 - 00:21:03 | Speaker 5:

Guess what?

00:21:04 - 00:21:04 | Speaker 2:

With us hanging out.

00:21:04 - 00:21:07 | Speaker 5:

We could have still given away opening day tickets from the studio.

00:21:08 - 00:21:34 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Lydia, my sweet Lydia. I love you. It's really warm in here. I love you. Can I bring up something real quick? I'd like to bring up a topic that is near and dear to my heart. And that is, anytime I come to Comerica Park, I get PTSDs from being here on the very first game in 2000 when the Tigers opened up their first season, their inaugural season at Comerica Park.

00:21:34 - 00:21:35 | Speaker 5:

00:21:35 - 00:21:36 | Speaker 2:

00:21:36 - 00:21:37 | Speaker 5:

I didn't realize it's been that long.

00:21:37 - 00:21:49 | Speaker 2:

And here's the people that we were with, okay? It was me, Spike, Chad, Eric, Sarah, and Chuck Gatica from Local 4. Chuck Gatica.

00:21:49 - 00:21:50 | Speaker 5:

I love Chuck.

00:21:50 - 00:22:28 | Speaker 2:

And we all came here to this beautiful place. We had nice seats. That was back in the day when we were owned by a company that had nice seats. And I don't know. I don't even remember what company it was. It was pre-Clear Channel. And I will never forget this. And if you have any story that shares with this, please tell me about it. I spent almost an hour and a half in line to go to the bathroom that first day. Oh, gosh. There were so many people. And somebody explain this to me. Why is it when you go to a Lions, a Red Wings, a Tigers, a Pistons game? Actually, maybe not last year's Pistons games, but this year's Pistons games. Don't do that.

00:22:29 - 00:22:29 | Speaker 3:

Don't do that.

00:22:29 - 00:22:43 | Speaker 2:

Why is it that the bathrooms take so long to go to the bathroom? Like, it's like you're in – there's something about going to a bathroom in a restroom that's a non-trough. You know what I mean? Where they don't have the big just sink that you pee in.

00:22:43 - 00:22:43 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah.

00:22:44 - 00:22:56 | Speaker 2:

But why – somebody explain to me. Can you guys give me a little bit of an idea of why it is? And the women's bathrooms look like they're longer. What's the longest you've ever waited in a concert or a game?

00:22:56 - 00:23:09 | Speaker 3:

I mean, long. That's because they're in there playing around. They're not in there just trying to use the bathroom. They got to fix their hair. They're in there chit-chatting, all that kind of stuff. Especially if you're going in there with your friend, Shannon. Am I right?

00:23:09 - 00:23:15 | Speaker 5:

I know, but truly, just the line to use the bathroom is long. Like, to actually pee.

00:23:15 - 00:23:21 | Speaker 2:

So what is it? What's the length of time that you've ever waited to go to the bathroom?

00:23:21 - 00:23:25 | Speaker 5:

I mean, probably, like, 20 minutes. But it feels like forever when you have to pee.

00:23:25 - 00:23:28 | Speaker 2:

Who's the longest line out of any venue you've ever been in?

00:23:30 - 00:23:34 | Speaker 5:

Oh, God. Maybe Ford Field. Yeah. Ford Field.

00:23:34 - 00:23:46 | Speaker 2:

Ford Field this year was the worst going to the bathroom ever, especially because you would run up during what you thought was, like, in between the quarters, and you thought you'd make it back. And the game was over with. You're like, oh, my God, we won.

00:23:47 - 00:23:52 | Speaker 3:

I feel like I consume more alcohol for Lions games. Really? Which I think has a piece to do with it.

00:23:52 - 00:24:07 | Speaker 2:

Okay. All right. I want to ask this question. I'm going to throw this out there. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I'm going to tell you guys of a different venue that I think is worse than Ford Field. And it's not Comerica Park. All right? So I'm going to tell you about it.

00:24:07 - 00:24:08 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

00:24:08 - 00:24:18 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. The longest that you've waited in line to go to the bathroom, what venue was it? What event were you at? I want you to call us up.

00:24:18 - 00:24:25 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55. 5 at 6.55, yo. 5 at 6.55, yo.

I thought it was, take me out to the show, buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks. Take me out. You got it. We're giving it to you. You still got the line we needed. Three to one. 00:30:03 - 00:30:37 | Speaker 1:

All right. I got a new song coming up here in a second from Ed Sheeran. We're going to play in just a little bit. All right. So what is the worst place to go pee in? Worse than even opening day 2000 at Co-America Park? Pine Knob. Oh. Oh, yeah. Yeah. You're right. Have you ever tried to pee at Pine Knob? You're right. Unless you're on the lawn. The lawn is unbelievable, isn't it? I mean, that's... That is a good one. You can pee. I kind of forgot about Pines. Yeah. Brittany, longest that you stood in line to go pee, and where was the worst place?

00:30:38 - 00:30:50 | Speaker 5:

20 minutes, and it was at the Fillmore. And first time, long time. What's up, Margo? Hey! It's a morning. You're on the phone! Coral wants to say hi. Hey.

00:31:11 - 00:31:14 | Speaker 1:

00:31:14 - 00:31:17 | Speaker 5:

00:31:17 - 00:31:19 | Speaker 1:

00:31:54 - 00:31:59 | Speaker 1:

Big glass. Let's go to Scarlett. Scarlett, longest that you've waited in line.

00:32:01 - 00:32:12 | Speaker 4:

It was 30 minutes at the Little Caesars Arena after it first opened. I was there for a Fall Out Boy concert.

00:32:12 - 00:32:13 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh.

00:32:13 - 00:32:14 | Speaker 4:

Fall Out Boy.

00:32:14 - 00:32:22 | Speaker 1:

30 minutes. So at what point of the concert do you say to yourself, all right, I've got to finally go pee? Please tell me it's not like the end when they're doing their hits.

00:32:22 - 00:32:39 | Speaker 4:

00:33:12 - 00:33:17 | Speaker 1:

they did everything so great at the at the uh nfl draft except for the porta potties you're

00:33:17 - 00:33:23 | Speaker 3:

00:34:05 - 00:34:10 | Speaker 6:

Hey, it's Lojo. The longest place to wait for the bathroom, the Cedar Point line.

00:34:10 - 00:34:13 | Speaker 1:

Oh, right around which ride?

00:34:13 - 00:34:14 | Speaker 6:

The Millennium Fort.

00:34:15 - 00:34:16 | Speaker 1:

Horrible. Yes.

00:34:17 - 00:34:22 | Speaker 6:

Yes. I waited an hour and a half because I didn't want to get out of line.

00:34:22 - 00:34:27 | Speaker 1:

Yes. You know what? I don't know. What's longer, waiting in line to go to the bathroom or waiting in line for the ride?

00:34:28 - 00:34:29 | Speaker 6:

Probably the bathroom.

00:34:29 - 00:34:45 | Speaker 1:

I wonder how many people actually defecate themselves while- On the ride? Or in line. I mean, on the ride, too. I mean, that would be- Sal, what's the longest you waited? Because we're talking about waiting in line for going to the bathroom.

00:34:46 - 00:34:50 | Speaker 2:

I would say for me and for some caller, long-time listener.

00:34:51 - 00:34:53 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Sal's on the phone.

00:34:54 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 2:

It would be at the auto show back in 2018. I waited about an hour and a half. Wow.

00:35:00 - 00:35:22 | Speaker 1:

Just so I could be able to get to the bathroom. An hour and a half. Why do you still have to go at that point? An hour and a half. At that point, I would have already gone. No comment. It's so funny because this past year caught a lot of grief for the fact that they had the coachacks. The coachacks were bad. All right. Well, thank you, buddy, for the call. I appreciate you, man. What you got going on today, Sal?

00:35:25 - 00:35:28 | Speaker 2:

On the way to work, so that's going to be an hour of a drive from work.

00:35:28 - 00:35:45 | Speaker 1:

Well, you better be listening to us the entire hour. I got an hour of great stuff for you, okay? Tweet. All right. Tell me to push the button. Go for it. Interesting song there from Ed Sheeran. What is it called?

00:35:45 - 00:35:46 | Speaker 2:

Azizam.

00:35:46 - 00:36:06 | Speaker 1:

Azizam. What is that? I have no idea. It's at a Googles. Is that his? I like it. It's okay. I never liked the songs on the first try. I liked the Miley on the first one. I like that one, too. You do? Mm-hmm. Yeah. I'm always, I have to take, it takes me two to three times sometimes to like go, eh, okay, I like it. I kind of get it. And then I become obsessive and I play it all day.

00:36:07 - 00:36:16 | Speaker 2:

This is going to be like APT for you. Like, how do you say it? Do you say apartment? Do you say empty? Do you say, but I can tell every time we say this, you're going to, it's going to be like a zazam, zazam.

00:36:17 - 00:36:20 | Speaker 1:

You're going to get creative. Dezel?

00:36:21 - 00:36:22 | Speaker 2:

Adeldezim. Adeldezim.

00:36:23 - 00:37:28 | Speaker 1:

So it's a, it's a Persian word that translates to my dear or beloved. Well, fantastic. Good job, Ed. I love you. All right, it's Mojo in the Morning Show, live at Comerica Park. Phone number is 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. We got coming up in over an hour, just over an hour, we're going to be giving away a pair of tickets to go see Tigers opening day against the Chicago White Sox. 1 o'clock, like 105 first pitch. If you want to win, it's hit it or quit it. It's Mojo in the Morning's hit it or quit it. we'll give you a chance to win here's the contest on this one we want to we want you to call us up because we believe that this is the case that every person has a one night stand story we want to hear your one night stand story that you have and the listener with the best one night stand story is going to end up winning this thing so it's got to be wild think of what you want to talk about and what you're willing to share with us and Lydia I think that we should do no voice disguiser on this one i think if you're going to the game you got to be open about it yeah are you

00:37:28 - 00:37:34 | Speaker 2:

okay with that i'm for that y'all got any crazy one night stand stories uh i've had probably three

00:37:34 - 00:37:41 | Speaker 1:

in my life i think really by their choice i was hoping for their choice they chose not to call

00:37:41 - 00:37:51 | Speaker 2:

me back how about you shannon anyone you were a part of my one night stand and you say you always Hey, you wouldn't let me go to first base with you.

00:37:52 - 00:37:52 | Speaker 1:

What is going on?

00:37:53 - 00:38:05 | Speaker 2:

No, you were there when it happened. Oh, that's right. It was my very first time meeting Mojo. Yes. And we were at a party for our agent, God rest his soul, Norm.

00:38:06 - 00:38:09 | Speaker 1:

She killed him when he found out that he died right there.

00:38:09 - 00:38:19 | Speaker 2:

God, probably. And there was another radio guy that was there. And as soon as I walked in, I mean, obviously I was very single at the time. And I saw him, and I was like, it is on. He was so cute.

00:38:19 - 00:38:22 | Speaker 1:

He looked like Adam Levine, I thought. But you guys thought he looked like somebody else.

00:38:22 - 00:38:43 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no. He looked like Bruno Mars. He looked like Bruno Mars. I wish he looked like Adam Levine. He was really cute, though. And at the end of the night, we were all in a car together, like an Uber together. And he went to get out at his hotel. And my house was right down the street. And so I pulled the back of his shirt and said, you're staying.

00:38:43 - 00:38:47 | Speaker 1:

You're coming with me, baby. Yeah. It was. It was a very aggressive moment there.

00:38:47 - 00:38:53 | Speaker 2:

It was probably the most, truly the most forward I have ever been in a situation with a guy.

00:38:53 - 00:39:00 | Speaker 1:

Shannon's one of those people that one moment she's telling me about the church that she goes to, and the next moment she's fornicated with the dude that looks like Bruno.

00:39:00 - 00:39:00 | Speaker 2:

You know what?

00:39:01 - 00:39:28 | Speaker 1:

But you know what? I think even the Lord would be okay with that one. That's life. All right. So that's coming up between 8.30 and 9 o'clock. You're going to have a chance to win those tickets. All right. It's Mojo and the Morning Show. We are live at Comerica. I've got my gloves on, which means that I have to take my gloves off when we do topics or talk. And we're going to be more than an hour commercial free coming up here in like the next 15 or 20. My hands are going to fall off.

00:39:28 - 00:39:33 | Speaker 2:

Bro, mine's already falling off. Mine are just, I don't know that I have hands anymore. But I'm so excited to be here.

00:39:33 - 00:39:51 | Speaker 1:

But I think that that helicopter makes it colder. I know it sounds weird to say that. It varies. But I feel like every time that that helicopter is flying over the Sky Fox or whatever it is, I feel like that helicopter has brought some cold winds to us. So, all right. Mojo in the Morning Show. Quit after one hour. Who did this?

00:39:51 - 00:40:00 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. Okay. So, Wes and I met some friends out for dinner the other night. And our waiter was telling us the story about how.

00:40:00 - 00:40:43 | Speaker 1:

they had a girl who had just started as a waitress that day and she didn't even last a full hour before she decided that she was gonna quit because she just couldn't handle like the kitchen what was happening in the kitchen and not in like a dirty way it was actually it's one of those restaurants where you can see the kitchen if you're a patron sitting there eating dinner but like raw meat I don't know what it was specifically something grossed her out And she just said, I've never worked in the food service industry before. I cannot, I am not cut out for this. And she quit. And he said, he thinks it was about 51 minutes she had this job. Wow. And she was done. And I thought, can anybody beat that?

00:40:44 - 00:40:46 | Speaker 6:

Is there anybody that can beat 51 minutes?

00:40:47 - 00:40:47 | Speaker 1:

Let's just say an hour.

00:40:48 - 00:41:21 | Speaker 6:

Okay, an hour. Yeah. Anybody beat an hour? What was it that made you quit right away? Quit within an hour. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665, 6548 is our telephone number. I don't get it because I would, like, I always think of my mom and dad that used to tell me, like, when I would play, like, a sport and I hated the sport or an instrument, I hated the instrument, and they would say, you got to give it a try. You know, you can't. Give it some time. You can't. You committed to it. You got to follow through with it. For sure. Nowadays, no way.

00:41:21 - 00:41:32 | Speaker 2:

51 minutes, she out. I commend people like that. If you know it's not for you, then go be great. Really? I don't want the person that's freaked out about lamb chops in the back cooking my food. Like, get out of here.

00:41:32 - 00:41:45 | Speaker 6:

But you don't want them quitting during the job because I've had that happen to us. Remember I told you the story about that? Yeah. We sat there forever. And they kept filling our waters up. And I'm like, is anybody going to tell this waitress to come back out here? And you found out, oh, she quit. Nobody says anything to you.

00:41:45 - 00:42:01 | Speaker 2:

I had an Amazon delivery guy come up to the house one day. And he's dropping it off. And I see that he's about to arrive somehow. Like, I don't know if you were on the doorbell or something. And I go outside to greet him like, hey, how's your day? How's it going? He's like, I'm about to quit. This ain't what I thought it was going to be. He's like, it's harder than I thought it was going to be.

00:42:01 - 00:42:08 | Speaker 6:

Is he the guy that drives his own car? Because the people that drive their own car, I feel like they just get the job to take the packages home with them.

00:42:09 - 00:42:12 | Speaker 1:

I don't like that, by the way. I hate it. When they roll up to my house.

00:42:12 - 00:42:25 | Speaker 6:

I want them driving that big old super spaceship looking thing. So, Mario, hi, can you beat the 51 minutes that the waitress quit?

00:42:25 - 00:42:54 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I think it was like 20, 30 minutes. So I was working at this restaurant called Beirut Palace with my first job. I was like, I don't know, 14, 15 years old, and I was supposed to be washing dishes, and I hate onions. So the owner came in the back with a bucket of onions and told me to cut up the onions. So I was like, oh, this is not part of my job, right? So he went back into the front, and I ran out the back door and never looked back. Oh, my God.

00:42:54 - 00:42:55 | Speaker 1:

All because of onions.

00:42:57 - 00:43:02 | Speaker 6:

Did you not – you didn't know you were going to have to do any kind of work like that, like chopping up stuff? No.

00:43:02 - 00:43:15 | Speaker 5:

He said I was going to be washing dishes. You know, I was getting in trouble at the time. My mom told me I had to get a job. So I was like, you know what? I'll work at my favorite restaurant washing dishes. And then he came in with onions, and I was like, anything else would have been fine.

00:43:16 - 00:43:22 | Speaker 6:

Word of advice, don't ever work at your favorite restaurant, because it will no longer be your favorite restaurant once you do that.

00:43:22 - 00:43:23 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, they ended up dying down.

00:43:24 - 00:43:36 | Speaker 6:

It's the worst. Let's go to, is it Trace? Vegan. What's this? Vegan, what's going on? Trace can beat, he can beat 30 minutes. What? How long was it?

00:43:37 - 00:43:46 | Speaker 3:

About 14 minutes. She walked into a McDonald's and got a job, a buddy of mine and I, and we started pickle races down the window while we were at work.

00:43:47 - 00:43:50 | Speaker 1:

Wait, you started what? Pickle races?

00:43:50 - 00:43:58 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh. So, pickles at the window. You see which one gets down to the bottom first. We had to buy about 30 or 40 on the window by the time the manager got to the back again.

00:43:59 - 00:44:00 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my gosh.

00:44:00 - 00:44:02 | Speaker 3:

That, by the way, that took...

00:44:02 - 00:44:13 | Speaker 6:

It took you longer to actually fill out the application than it did for you to be dicking around in the back with pickles. That's crazy.

00:44:13 - 00:44:19 | Speaker 4:

Definitely did. Yeah, they interviewed us and sent us to the back, and by the time they got back there, they didn't want us back there anymore.

00:44:19 - 00:44:34 | Speaker 6:

I love it. Paws just came by us here on opening day. I want Paws' skin. I want to be able to wear it. Yeah, I want to get in there. I want to be warm. You're warm. You're the warmest one here today, Paws. You look so good. Paws is the best mascot in all of sports.

00:44:35 - 00:44:35 | Speaker 2:

Opening day ready.

00:44:36 - 00:44:37 | Speaker 6:

What's going on, Kelly? Hi.

00:44:37 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 4:

good morning first time long time i think i got it back i think i got it back a little lower i think i just blew my eardrum out i can't beat 15 minutes but i think it was like 35 minutes i'm a travel nurse and i showed up to an assignment um in in a town not far from here

00:45:00 - 00:45:19 | Speaker 3:

I was supposed to be in the ICU. They said, you're going to the step-down unit, which is like a med-surg. I don't know anything about working a floor. And I said, I'm sorry, I can't do med-surg. And they're like, well, this is what the assignment is today. This is what you're here for. And I said, well, I got to go. I can't do it. And I left. I had to leave. I can't. So, yeah.

00:45:19 - 00:45:23 | Speaker 5:

Did you, like, nicely say it, or did you say it?

00:45:23 - 00:45:37 | Speaker 3:

I quit this bitch. well i tried to i tried to be nice about it but it didn't end nice so i know that yeah so they they cut my contract so i ended up you know being the one that was out of money but i went on and

00:45:37 - 00:45:48 | Speaker 5:

found something better does anybody worry when this happens that you'll never get a job again because i always used to worry that i'd get a bad reference and not get a job and

00:45:48 - 00:45:56 | Speaker 1:

then i realized nobody ever does references you want to know it's so funny except for our company because somebody put me down as a reference and they just called me. Really?

00:45:56 - 00:46:00 | Speaker 5:

But the thing is, interesting, you cannot give a bad reference because somebody can sue you for a bad reference.

00:46:00 - 00:46:01 | Speaker 1:

Why? You can't?

00:46:01 - 00:46:04 | Speaker 5:

No. Angelica, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:46:05 - 00:46:06 | Speaker 2:

Hey, guys.

00:46:06 - 00:46:08 | Speaker 5:

What's up, Angelica? Hey, what's going on?

00:46:10 - 00:46:35 | Speaker 2:

Well, the longest I ever worked at a job, it was actually my very first job at a dry cleaner. It was a dry cleaner that my mom used to go to. And within 10 minutes of working there, they put me on the register and then this lady, she came in and I'm pretty sure she was like on crack or something because she was just very hot and she scared the mess out of me. I called my mom, I'm like, mom, come pick me up. She's like, you haven't even been here an hour. I'm like, no, come pick me up.

00:46:36 - 00:46:49 | Speaker 5:

Did you just say the longest you've worked at a job? Oh, no, like I'm saying, well, the shortest I worked. Shortest, okay, I thought that was the longest. I'm going, how many jobs have you had? You got to know how to deal with crack kids.

00:46:50 - 00:46:57 | Speaker 2:

It was the shortest, and it was my first time trying out at a job. It was horrible. It was scary.

00:46:58 - 00:46:59 | Speaker 4:

Crackheads can be aggressive.

00:47:00 - 00:47:01 | Speaker 5:

Angelica, we love you.

00:47:01 - 00:47:01 | Speaker 4:

Have a great weekend.

00:47:01 - 00:47:04 | Speaker 1:

When are you working with crackheads all the time?

00:47:04 - 00:47:07 | Speaker 4:

I mean, I grew up in an environment where there were crackheads present. Okay.

00:47:09 - 00:47:10 | Speaker 5:

And they're bad to deal with?

00:47:10 - 00:47:16 | Speaker 4:

I've had to deal with. I mean, you catch them on a good day, they can be your best friend. They can be scary sometimes if you don't know they're coming.

00:47:16 - 00:47:20 | Speaker 5:

Every crackhead that I've ever hung out with, I've actually enjoyed their company.

00:47:20 - 00:47:30 | Speaker 4:

I know, but if they off a bender and they out here, they're not going to be like that. Then it's not going to be good. Shannon's Dirty coming up in less than 30.

00:47:30 - 00:47:32 | Speaker 1:

Give it some Bojo in the morning.

00:47:33 - 00:47:44 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yes. Yes. We got opening day hanging out here. Baseball. Peanuts, applesauce. Apple sauce.

00:47:44 - 00:47:52 | Speaker 1:

The cold is getting to you. Games, are you going to? Do they still have Cracker Jack? Is that still a thing?

00:47:52 - 00:47:53 | Speaker 5:

Yes. It's a staple.

00:47:53 - 00:47:58 | Speaker 1:

Can I go on a limb and say Cracker Jack is awful? It tastes like cardboard. Cracker Jacks suck. You know what?

00:47:58 - 00:47:59 | Speaker 5:

You, by the way.

00:48:00 - 00:48:03 | Speaker 1:

Regular popcorn is way better than Cracker Jacks.

00:48:03 - 00:48:05 | Speaker 5:

You are. Trump's going to deport you.

00:48:05 - 00:48:08 | Speaker 1:

Cracker Jacks do not taste good. They are not good.

00:48:08 - 00:48:19 | Speaker 5:

Cracker Jacks used to be better when they allowed us to be able to eat chemicals. Now they allow us to eat healthy chemicals. Tony, you know who loves Cracker Jacks? It's our boss, Tony Travato. That makes sense to me.

00:48:19 - 00:48:20 | Speaker 4:

What is a Cracker Jack?

00:48:21 - 00:48:24 | Speaker 5:

It's basically caramel corn. It's bad caramel corn with a little bit of peanut in the bottle.

00:48:24 - 00:48:28 | Speaker 1:

Well, there used to be a prize in every box. Oh.

00:48:28 - 00:48:29 | Speaker 4:

I like Apple Jacks.

00:48:30 - 00:48:45 | Speaker 5:

Quick question for you, and this is just one because we're obviously getting ready for baseball. I met a person the other day that said that they've never had a hot dog. And I'm like, how have you never had a hot dog? Like, when you're a kid, I feel like that's what your parents automatically just feed you for cheap food, you know?

00:48:45 - 00:48:52 | Speaker 4:

I love hot dogs. Have you never been to a barbecue or, like, a family? This person you're talking about, like, that's the family food right there.

00:48:52 - 00:49:10 | Speaker 5:

I don't get it. Like, I've never understood, like, somebody that doesn't ever eat. And I know that there are people that won't eat, like, processed stuff and they don't feed it to their kids. You understand how much you're growing your kids up to be weak. Like, if you don't put, like, Oscar Mayer stuff inside of them or any stuff with...

00:49:10 - 00:49:12 | Speaker 1:

Kraft mac and cheese.

00:49:12 - 00:49:12 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:49:12 - 00:49:21 | Speaker 4:

Talk to me. Fruit roll-ups. Did y'all, when y'all was younger, did y'all moms or whoever was raising y'all making food, did they chop up the hot dogs and mix it in with the baked beans? Oh, yes.

00:49:21 - 00:49:22 | Speaker 1:

My mom did not. Yes.

00:49:23 - 00:49:27 | Speaker 5:

Or the mac and cheese. We would always, it was always like a surprise. Oh, my God, I got a hot dog.

00:49:27 - 00:49:28 | Speaker 4:

I'm with that.

00:49:28 - 00:49:53 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Yeah, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is the telephone number. It's funny because here we are, we're hanging out here, and we're kind of sitting fieldside on Comerica Parks. Are we live on something? What are we live on right now? We're live on Facebook right now. We're on Facebook. We're doing what we can outside on the field. Can people see how they're bundled up we are?

00:49:53 - 00:49:57 | Speaker 1:

Yes, they can. Not bundled up enough. I know, I didn't layer up today.

00:49:57 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 5:

I have not seen what it looks like.

00:50:00 - 00:50:15 | Speaker 3:

Like, okay, I can see kind of like the stuff here. It is, it's really cold. And can somebody explain this to me? The people that come to a game, and call me if you're one of these ones, on a day like today, opening day, where it's supposedly going to be 50 degrees.

00:50:15 - 00:50:17 | Speaker 5:

It's going to be nice. It is. It's just cold.

00:50:17 - 00:50:39 | Speaker 3:

And they order that huge frozen drink with the big old cup. Yeah. And it's usually some guy from like Lake Orion or something. You know what I mean? like it's some guy from like i don't know i i'm i'm profiling here right now some guy from novi that uh that does it and you're drinking one of those things and it's freezing outside well you

00:50:39 - 00:50:44 | Speaker 5:

have that big huge starbucks iced coffee that you're drinking talk about it and i don't understand

00:50:44 - 00:50:50 | Speaker 3:

how i love it why why do you not uh why do you not like it no because it's no different than

00:50:50 - 00:50:55 | Speaker 5:

the guy from novi with the big frozen drink it's just cold at least his has alcohol in it

00:50:56 - 00:50:58 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. It's cold.

00:50:58 - 00:50:59 | Speaker 5:

Who gave me those?

00:50:59 - 00:51:09 | Speaker 3:

I like it. I think it's fine. Who drinks cold stuff at a game like that? What do you normally...

00:51:09 - 00:51:13 | Speaker 4:

I mean, they don't sell hot alcohol. Yeah, they do. But you got to do it. Oh, they don't sell hot alcohol.

00:51:13 - 00:51:20 | Speaker 3:

But does a beer... People have always told me that beer quenches your thirst. I never understood that a beer could quench your thirst.

00:51:20 - 00:51:22 | Speaker 4:

I mean, if you're an alcoholic.

00:51:22 - 00:51:31 | Speaker 3:

Well, no. if you're an alcoholic you're just drinking it because you're drinking it but honestly like i feel like there's some people that will will drink those so i feel like a shot of tequila right now

00:51:31 - 00:51:37 | Speaker 4:

will warm me up yeah go over to the casamigos they don't have any bottles out there they just

00:51:37 - 00:52:08 | Speaker 3:

up there um texter here says to me they say mojo we've got to try to see if we can get this person on uh mojo i drink those drinks all the time with my girlfriends you come out to a game like on a day like today and you'll have one of those yeah that's crazy that's like i don't know i can't i can't have that or the people that like the other one too is the people that will find themselves like on really really hot days drinking a big hot drink i don't get it that is me i will

00:52:08 - 00:52:15 | Speaker 5:

have a hot coffee no matter what on a hot day yeah yeah i go this is an iced coffee okay this

00:52:15 - 00:52:33 | Speaker 3:

person did it look at that i got a nice little enjoy on there they gave me a little smiley face i thought that they would write happy birth happy opening day knowing that we were coming there but they didn't do that but i know i'm drinking iced coffee on a a cold morning sitting outside it's usually better when we're in our warm studio kendall what's going on it's mojo in the morning

00:52:33 - 00:52:52 | Speaker 1:

hi hi what's happening first time in a long time I just wanted to comment on the hot dog thing. That girl that said she's never had a hot dog. Yeah. I could eat hot dogs every meal, every day.

00:52:53 - 00:52:53 | Speaker 3:

Really?

00:52:53 - 00:52:55 | Speaker 1:

I could live off of them. Yes.

00:52:56 - 00:53:01 | Speaker 3:

You know what? You're a real woman. Please tell me you're single. And if so, I got Kevin here. I'd like to set you up.

00:53:01 - 00:53:06 | Speaker 1:

She loves her wieners. Hey, I do. Every shape, every size.

00:53:06 - 00:53:18 | Speaker 3:

Do you, is there a particular brand of hot dog? And I know we're getting down to this right now, but it's early in the show. We'll work our way up to actually some good material, but is there like a brand of hot dog that you like?

00:53:19 - 00:53:21 | Speaker 1:

No, any hot dog, I will eat them.

00:53:22 - 00:53:33 | Speaker 3:

Because I'm going to say something that's going to make me lose every Detroit listener I've ever grabbed over 25 years. I think that the hot dogs that they sell at Coney's that with the casing on it is the worst hot dogs ever.

00:53:33 - 00:53:35 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I don't like those. I don't like the snap.

00:53:35 - 00:53:40 | Speaker 3:

It feels, when I bite into the thing, it feels like I am biting into plastic or something. Yeah.

00:53:40 - 00:53:41 | Speaker 4:

That's a taste of that.

00:53:41 - 00:53:48 | Speaker 3:

It's awful. I'm with that. Like, I'd rather eat, like, one of those good old, like, plump, like, all beef hot dogs, you know? Yeah, straight up.

00:53:49 - 00:53:56 | Speaker 4:

What's the brand that's got, like, the, it's black, but it has, like, blue and yellow lettering on it? Get it at the grocery store?

00:53:56 - 00:53:57 | Speaker 3:

Ballpark? You got it.

00:53:57 - 00:54:05 | Speaker 4:

Is it ballpark? I think it might be a ballpark. Ballpark Frank. And then you get them with the bun size. They plump when you cook them. You're awake. Oh, my God.

00:54:05 - 00:54:06 | Speaker 5:

How excited are you?

00:54:06 - 00:54:10 | Speaker 4:

Let's go. That just unlocked the memory. You can't when you cook them. That's a real thing.

00:54:10 - 00:54:16 | Speaker 3:

They're so good. And here's another one, too. My mom used to boil hot dogs, and I never liked boiled hot dogs.

00:54:16 - 00:54:21 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, my mom did, too. Ew. That grosses me out. Put my joint in the microwave and let it pop.

00:54:21 - 00:54:25 | Speaker 3:

Give us something good. I want to split open. I need it on a grill or something.

00:54:25 - 00:54:30 | Speaker 5:

Hey, if Kev's having a down day, just talk about hot dogs. And crackheads. And crackheads. And crackheads.

00:54:30 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 2:

He loves them. Go freeze your ass off and get $10 hot dogs in honor of our baseball team. Get your beer here. Go Tigers. Ice cold beer over here. This is Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the mornings, dirty on the 30.

00:55:28 - 00:56:08 | Speaker 1:

All right, I got a little bit of an issue. Lydia, Zach, back in the studio, warm and toasty, probably right now with the fireplace on in our palatial Eastern Market studios. And our warm blankies. And your warm blankies. Making s'mores. If I see another picture of Lydia in that stupid lion's hoodie, warm, you know what I'm going to do? And by the way, if you use her in our walk-up, did you already do? She did it. Bianca, I will get you. She is showing off that she's nice and warm at studio, and we're out here cold on the field. My computer is frozen. This is no joke. Look at this computer.

00:56:08 - 00:56:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it won't even turn.

00:56:09 - 00:56:11 | Speaker 1:

This iHeart ThinkPad that I have.

00:56:11 - 00:56:15 | Speaker 3:

Not frozen, like, stuck on a screen. Like, frozen so cold it won't turn on.

00:56:15 - 00:56:27 | Speaker 1:

Can somebody call me up and tell me, did they not have computers for Anna and Elsa? I mean, I can't. This computer, can a computer freeze, like, literally freeze? Because it's cold? Yes.

00:56:28 - 00:56:31 | Speaker 3:

Really? Just like they can get too hot and you get that temperature thing.

00:56:31 - 00:56:43 | Speaker 1:

All right, Lester, sit on this thing. Put it in your jacket there. Put it in your jacket. Get it warm. So you're going to have to punch all the phones and stuff like that, Zach, for the phone lines. All right, what's going on in the dirty?

00:56:43 - 00:56:50 | Speaker 3:

All right, did you guys hear the story of that Michigan couple that's been in a Mexican prison for the past month over some sort of dispute?

00:56:50 - 00:56:51 | Speaker 1:

It's a mom and a dad, right?

00:56:51 - 00:56:52 | Speaker 3:

Over a timeshare? Yes.

00:56:52 - 00:56:56 | Speaker 1:

The daughter is one of the famous gymnasts that was at Michigan State.

00:56:56 - 00:57:25 | Speaker 3:

It is an insane story. So I don't know the specifics of what the dispute was about, but Christy and Paula Keo have been behind bars in a maximum security Cancun prison after being accused of defrauding palace resorts out of more than one hundred and sixteen thousand dollars. A video yesterday shows the couple, along with Michigan Representative Tom Barrett on a private plane, finally returning to the United States.

00:57:25 - 00:57:48 | Speaker 2:

Mr. President, it's Tom Barrett, and I'm here with Paul and Christy Akaio. We are on our way back to the United States. Thank you so much for your help, your investment in this cause, and your team and everything you did to help them get loose and get free and come back to America. We wanted to thank you so much for all your help. Thank you so much, President Trump. We appreciate it more than you even know.

00:57:48 - 00:57:56 | Speaker 3:

A week ago, the president heard the news about this couple, reached out to his hostage team to resolve it immediately so they are home that's that's

00:57:56 - 00:58:30 | Speaker 1:

craziness though that and i don't know what the story is about like the timeshare the timeshare you know issues of the defrauding or whatever they that's what that timeshare is trying to say timeshares in general are a fraud yes i mean i agree with you yeah because a you sign this long contract you can never get out of it you can never get out of the damn thing you're paying forever you only get a certain amount of uh weeks that you can choose from i mean that if anybody that that has a timeshare has ever had a good experience you must have a great timeshare because

00:58:30 - 00:59:42 | Speaker 3:

i heard nothing but horror stories yeah same drama is unfolding in the beckham family as in david and victoria becca with two sons feuding over a woman and her motives so brooklyn and romeo beckham are the sons in that family they are not on speaking terms at the moment and a woman named kim turnbull is at the center of it okay kim had a romantic relationship with brooklyn beckham several years ago he's now married to nicola peltz but his brother romeo is now dating kim okay so the feud is the reason that brooklyn and nicola were noticeably absent from david beckham's 50th birthday party romeo was there with kim brooklyn and nicola won't go to any sort of family events that kim is at. And what's interesting is Romeo posted a family photo from that birthday party on Wednesday. I saw this. The caption was, family is everything. But he did not tag his own brother. Brooklyn and Nicola skipped Victoria Beckham's fashion show last month because Kim was there. So just very interesting that this woman is basically breaking the family apart. Brooklyn and Nicola, by the way, live in L.A. Romeo still lives in London with mom

00:59:42 - 00:59:47 | Speaker 1:

and dad and even still this is an issue i've heard of a mother effort never heard of a brother effort

00:59:47 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 3:

i mean yeah she shared she shared the brother brothers and lil wayne announcing his new album the carter six will be released on june 6th so we got that date he shared that news on x

01:00:00 - 01:00:21 | Speaker 4:

along with a video of highlights from his career. The Carter Six being released seven years after the fifth installment in the album series. He hasn't released a single yet this year. I don't know when we're going to get a single or any sort of album or any sort of teaser or preview song from the album, but it's happening in June. Love it. I love it.

01:00:21 - 01:00:28 | Speaker 3:

New Lil Wayne music. How can you not enjoy one of the greatest rappers of all time? He dropped verses, but looking forward to this album.

01:00:28 - 01:00:32 | Speaker 4:

01:00:47 - 01:00:49 | Speaker 3:

We got Bridget on the phone. Bridget on the phone!

01:00:50 - 01:01:03 | Speaker 2:

Well, we only do that for first time long times. I'm cold. My brain is all over the place. Bridget, are you there? Hold on. Bridget, hold on. Zach's got to push his button. There we go. Hi, Bridget. Hi, Bridget.

01:01:03 - 01:01:04 | Speaker 3:

Good morning.

01:01:04 - 01:01:05 | Speaker 2:

Good morning, Bridget. Where are you from?

01:01:05 - 01:01:07 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. From Troy.

01:01:08 - 01:01:12 | Speaker 2:

Bridget, you're going to see the Jonas Brothers out on this field. Comerica Park. Congratulations.

01:01:14 - 01:01:16 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. I'm so excited.

01:01:16 - 01:01:25 | Speaker 2:

We're going to set you up with a pair. The show tickets are on sale right now, Ticketmaster.com. There are still tickets available. You're going to go for free. Have the best time.

01:01:26 - 01:01:27 | Speaker 3:

Awesome. Thank you guys so much.

01:01:28 - 01:01:51 | Speaker 2:

Thank you so much. We appreciate you for listening to the show. Opening day. Hanging out here. Put Bridget on hold. Zach, this is going to be interesting because I had it all nice and wonderful, but somebody needs to explain to me about a computer freezing. I've never known of a computer freezing. So are engineers listening right now?

01:01:51 - 01:01:55 | Speaker 4:

Like freezing as in being so cold it's not even turning. I don't know. It's actually, I can see it's on.

01:01:55 - 01:02:05 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it shows the light, but look at this. I can't get the damn thing they're working. Maybe the computer just broke. But how would it break? It was literally just sitting on that thing forever and just doing nothing.

01:02:05 - 01:02:05 | Speaker 3:

I don't know.

01:02:06 - 01:02:16 | Speaker 2:

Anybody know how to work a ThinkPad? Because I do Macs all the time. You a Mac, man? My Mac's working fine. God, hopefully.

01:02:17 - 01:02:20 | Speaker 4:

Wes, call us. He knows how to do it. Tim Cook.

01:02:21 - 01:02:23 | Speaker 3:

He's a software guy. He knows how to do it. There are some hijinks.

01:02:24 - 01:02:36 | Speaker 2:

So, all right. So, Zach, you're going to have to work the phones. Lydia, we're going to have to audible. You're going to have to text me people's names that we have here. Send me that Google sheet, Lydia. I could pull it up and give them my computer. Nah. Whatever. I don't know.

01:02:36 - 01:02:39 | Speaker 1:

Yes? No? You want the Google sheet? Yeah, send me the Google sheet.

01:02:39 - 01:02:52 | Speaker 2:

So, can I tell you what happened during the break? I'm going to give a little information. During the break, Shannon and Kevin are trying to ask me if we could, after the throwback throwdowns. I said during this.

01:02:52 - 01:02:53 | Speaker 4:

During.

01:02:53 - 01:03:10 | Speaker 2:

They don't want Megan out too long With the cold and all that stuff We kept Megan from having to be here at the broadcast Because she's not been feeling well And they want to go back to the studio And I said we can't do that We're not quitters

01:03:10 - 01:03:13 | Speaker 3:

I think we did what we came to do

01:03:13 - 01:03:15 | Speaker 2:

We took a couple pictures

01:03:15 - 01:03:19 | Speaker 3:

We broadcasted live We've done everything we said we were going to do

01:03:19 - 01:03:27 | Speaker 2:

The funny thing is We just talked a second ago on the air about Shannon's, you know, going to the restaurant and hearing about this week.

01:03:27 - 01:03:28 | Speaker 4:

Hey, we made it past 51 minutes.

01:03:29 - 01:03:29 | Speaker 3:

Listen.

01:03:29 - 01:03:30 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

01:03:30 - 01:03:31 | Speaker 2:

You guys, we're not quitters.

01:03:32 - 01:03:36 | Speaker 4:

I can do a lot of things. Maybe you're not a quitter. Then you stay cozy.

01:03:37 - 01:03:40 | Speaker 2:

Well, next time I hope everybody listens to me.

01:03:40 - 01:03:41 | Speaker 4:

Wait a second.

01:03:41 - 01:03:43 | Speaker 2:

I hope everybody listens to me.

01:03:43 - 01:03:44 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

01:03:44 - 01:03:58 | Speaker 4:

No, no. No, no. Let me give you some behind the scenes. Go ahead. Okay? Here's the real behind the scenes. We were going to broadcast from the studio and then come down and go bar hopping and meet up with listeners.

01:03:58 - 01:03:59 | Speaker 2:

Sounded fun, didn't it?

01:03:59 - 01:04:05 | Speaker 4:

After the show. And then all of a sudden in the Monday meeting, it was like, no, we're broadcasting from on the field. Mojo goes, great idea.

01:04:05 - 01:04:06 | Speaker 2:

Because Lydia said.

01:04:06 - 01:04:07 | Speaker 4:

I gave you the death stare.

01:04:08 - 01:04:49 | Speaker 2:

Lydia said that it would put us in good light with the Tigers who, to be quite honest with you, have not really done a lot with us lately. You know, they do a ton with influencers and stuff like that. And we have, like, a bajillion listeners that listen to this show. And I'm not kidding you. I mean, we got our TikToks of millions of views and stuff. And so Lydia had a great point. And the point was, you know what? It might be nice, you know? Have Chris Illich here in as he's, you know, driving in. Hey, look at that. Mojo and Shannon and Cav, Megan, everybody hanging out at my old ballpark. And then these guys, they want to skirt out of here.

01:04:49 - 01:05:00 | Speaker 3:

No, look, this is incredible. The field looks amazing. The grass has never been greener. Look at that giant scoreboard presented by Rocket. I love this place. It's just cold as hell.

01:05:00 - 01:05:13 | Speaker 4:

and kev just so you're aware he's he's talking about this in this way so that because he he really actually wants to go but he wants to blame it on us exactly i don't want to blame it on you

01:05:13 - 01:05:19 | Speaker 1:

if our car wasn't a mile and a half down the road we can fix it that's easy you guys i have ronda

01:05:19 - 01:05:24 | Speaker 3:

in the studio with me and she's like they're such babies no okay ronda yeah because ronda's

01:05:24 - 01:05:26 | Speaker 2:

It's in the 80-degree studio.

01:05:26 - 01:05:38 | Speaker 1:

Come on, Mike, you food-feeling, stealing thief. Come on up here, Rhonda. I'm going to go back to the old days and pull out all the topics of you stealing our food out of our...

01:05:38 - 01:05:40 | Speaker 4:

Okay, I need to explain something to you guys.

01:05:41 - 01:05:41 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

01:05:42 - 01:05:46 | Speaker 4:

I'm a proud Jew. The guilt would kill me if I stole your food.

01:05:47 - 01:05:50 | Speaker 1:

Oh, really? Okay, so, all right, then it wasn't you. I really don't believe it was, Rhonda.

01:05:51 - 01:06:05 | Speaker 3:

You guys are such babies. Ah, shut up, you right here. Oh, my God, you're acting like it's 20 below. Rhonda, grow a pair. Throw on a coat and a scarf. You're fine. You can say that from the studio.

01:06:05 - 01:06:20 | Speaker 1:

For you, who is, by the way, Rhonda's our sports director and is constantly always working hard, covering the sports teams, in the locker rooms and press box, which, by the way, I'm assuming that they've got heat in both of those places. Oh, absolutely.

01:06:21 - 01:06:24 | Speaker 4:

I would never go down on the field when it's 40 degrees. I'm not stupid.

01:06:27 - 01:06:36 | Speaker 1:

Rhonda also, by the way, Rhonda's so funny. My favorite is when she comes into the studio to talk to Kev to critique the press room food at Little Caesars Arena. Oh, yeah.

01:06:37 - 01:06:45 | Speaker 4:

It's exquisite. Listen, I got to give it up to Tom Gores. Doesn't charge us. All the other teams do. Oh, that's nice. You know why?

01:06:45 - 01:06:49 | Speaker 1:

Because Tom Gores is a bajillionaire. He doesn't need to.

01:06:49 - 01:06:51 | Speaker 4:

Well, what do you think the others are? I mean, come on.

01:06:51 - 01:06:56 | Speaker 1:

Listen, Mr. Illich might be listening on his way down here. Mr. Illich, if you're listening, I just want to stay here.

01:06:56 - 01:07:01 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, there's a difference. No, there's not a difference. No, I'm sorry.

01:07:02 - 01:07:04 | Speaker 1:

All right. Rhonda, what time are you getting to opening day?

01:07:04 - 01:07:06 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I don't cover opening day anymore.

01:07:06 - 01:07:06 | Speaker 1:

No?

01:07:07 - 01:07:07 | Speaker 4:

No.

01:07:08 - 01:07:12 | Speaker 1:

Are you mainly only covering Pistons games because of the free food?

01:07:13 - 01:07:23 | Speaker 4:

Exactly. But, no, it's, you know, I decided years, I covered so many opening days, I was like, when I don't have to do it, I refuse to do opening day.

01:07:23 - 01:07:26 | Speaker 1:

Well, if you want, we'll have Shannon because she's willing to stay here all day.

01:07:27 - 01:07:38 | Speaker 4:

I have to say, I'm looking at you guys right now. You look so cute, though. Thank you. So enjoy. I mean, I have to give it up to you. Even though I'm listening to you whine about the weather when it's really not that horrible.

01:07:38 - 01:07:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:07:39 - 01:07:43 | Speaker 4:

It's great to be on the field. It is awesome. It is very cool. It's great. It is cool.

01:07:44 - 01:07:53 | Speaker 1:

Listen, this is the dream come true for, you know. Nobody? No, the baseball fans and stuff. Tony Travato, I can't believe, is not down here because Travato is a guy.

01:07:54 - 01:07:55 | Speaker 4:

Huge. Tigers fan.

01:07:55 - 01:08:11 | Speaker 1:

He's the biggest Tigers fan I know. And any time that FanDuel Sports Network will say, hey, you guys want to go out and do one of those home run hitting contests or whatever the hell we've done, Tony's always signing up for that stuff. But on opening day, I noticed that he's conveniently not hanging out here with us.

01:08:11 - 01:08:15 | Speaker 4:

Oh, he'll probably be there when the sun is shining and it's 52 degrees.

01:08:15 - 01:08:21 | Speaker 1:

By the way, Rhonda, is it third base or first base side that gets the heat? Because there's one side.

01:08:22 - 01:08:26 | Speaker 4:

Third base, because that's when the sun is seriously shining down.

01:08:26 - 01:08:37 | Speaker 1:

Because I like when somebody gets me tickets on the third base side at opening day or any time prior to June. After that, I ain't sitting on that side.

01:08:37 - 01:08:40 | Speaker 4:

Oh, it's so hot. It really is hot.

01:08:40 - 01:08:51 | Speaker 1:

I'm a, even though I am a proud Cuban, like you say, you're a proud Jew. Us Cubans came to the Midwest so that we didn't have to be hot, so.

01:08:51 - 01:08:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:08:51 - 01:08:53 | Speaker 1:

All right. Well, we love you. See you, Rhonda.

01:08:53 - 01:08:55 | Speaker 4:

Love you guys, too. Have fun. Bye, Rhonda. Bye.

01:08:55 - 01:09:02 | Speaker 1:

I do have a couple of things that I wanted to get in before we get to the throwback throwdown.

01:09:02 - 01:09:03 | Speaker 2:

Let's get in.

01:09:03 - 01:09:20 | Speaker 1:

And I'm not excited over the fact that this computer's not working. And I don't know what I can do any different than have Lester sit on it like I've been doing or me rubbing the damn thing like I'm caressing.

01:09:21 - 01:09:21 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

01:09:21 - 01:09:28 | Speaker 1:

All right. It's Mojo in the morning show. Kevin, getting judged for your sign.

01:09:28 - 01:09:31 | Speaker 2:

Are you guys really big into zodiac signs?

01:09:31 - 01:09:37 | Speaker 4:

I'm not, but I love talking to people who are. I'm fascinated by the people who know all of the things.

01:09:37 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 2:

I'm not one of those people. But I went to a bar yesterday, hanging out with some friends. My birthday is a week away. Next Friday, April 11th. Oh, my God. You feel me? Put that in my calendar. That's the conversation that we're having. Some people at the bar I know, some people I don't know. What does that make you? An Aries. Oh, I've heard about Aries. So what does that mean? Aries, Lucy's an Aries.

01:10:00 - 01:10:05 | Speaker 1:

birthday is next week you're feisty okay but that's basically what happened like i'm sitting

01:10:05 - 01:10:09 | Speaker 2:

at the bar the girl like oh you're an aries i'm like yeah she's like i've dated aries before

01:10:09 - 01:10:14 | Speaker 1:

never get never again we're not all the same but i know that's her trying to flirt with you by the

01:10:14 - 01:10:30 | Speaker 2:

way but i'm saying there are people out there who literally judge you based on your zodiac sign and feel as though they know exactly who you are and exactly what type of person you are simply because you were born on this day and i can't i can't get with that i don't i like to get read like i like

01:10:30 - 01:10:40 | Speaker 3:

when somebody will give me a reading but when people do the and they're usually honestly just women i don't see guys going oh you're in here it's usually single women that for some reason

01:10:40 - 01:10:47 | Speaker 2:

do that or mr chase mr chase i was just gonna say um but they'll do that whole thing where they

01:10:47 - 01:11:01 | Speaker 3:

They it's you know what it is. It's profiling. It's racial profiling. It is Gemini. Zodiac profiling. You can't you can't profile somebody. That's craziness.

01:11:02 - 01:11:08 | Speaker 2:

So and it comes down to relationships sometimes where they're like, I'm in Aries and I feel more comfortable with a Scorpio.

01:11:08 - 01:11:28 | Speaker 1:

I wonder if there's anybody who has actually not moved forward in a relationship after meeting somebody or a first date or something because of their Zodiac sign. I don't know. That seems like if it is that important to you that you met somebody. But then once you realized when their birthday was, you were like, nope, this cannot happen.

01:11:29 - 01:12:20 | Speaker 3:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Here's my thing. Where are those Zodiac geniuses out there that always know everybody's stuff? I want you to give us the rundown on what are the signs that you do and do not F with. Because you guys always make it seem so, like, top of mind when you say it. And sometimes I actually hear them say things, and I'm going, I wonder if they don't know what the hell they're talking about. And they're just, you know, it's kind of like our engineers when they come to the studio. tell us something but um 844 mojo live listen to this text message this text message here goes kev at least you're not a gemini i'm a gemini how dare you what does that mean five one seven seven four i'll give out your number call in and like what does that mean at least you're not it

01:12:20 - 01:12:26 | Speaker 2:

what's so bad about gemini's i i will say i've heard y'all got split personalities though well

01:12:26 - 01:12:42 | Speaker 3:

they're two different but we're also we're also kind of i think we're also from what i've had somebody in the past read we're kind of happy-go-lucky and a little bit but we also could get crazy too like it's like bipolar y'all got a little dr jekyll mr hot we got bipolar yeah

01:12:42 - 01:12:53 | Speaker 1:

there's a little bit there um i want to talk to the person who texts in oak have that explains a lot about you that you're an aries what does that mean yeah i don't know but i i think honestly

01:12:53 - 01:13:01 | Speaker 3:

when people send send stuff like that to us they don't know what the hell they're talking about What do I got? Do I have any calls, Zach? Anything coming in?

01:13:01 - 01:13:05 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, we have Christina on the line, but I don't like her opinion because I'm, yeah.

01:13:05 - 01:13:09 | Speaker 3:

We'll find out. So that's why you guys haven't told me who's on the line. Christina, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

01:13:11 - 01:13:24 | Speaker 4:

I'm by no means, good morning, guys. I'm by no means an expert in astrology, but Aquarius men are the worst. Aquarius men and Leo men. Like, in my experience, I will stay away from them, and I have not, I have stopped a relationship.

01:13:24 - 01:13:27 | Speaker 3:

Give me a, you can't just say that without proof.

01:13:27 - 01:14:00 | Speaker 4:

They have extremely narcissistic, toxic traits, and after my last ex-boyfriend, I told myself I will never again date an Aquarius, and actually, a month after we broke up, he ended up getting remarried, and he's now in prison for murdering her daughter. Oh, my God. All right, I'm done with Aquarius. it's so like aquarius men are the absolute worst and i've never met i've never met a capitan um just normal aquarius man so i just i tend to stray away from them and i haven't been in a

01:14:00 - 01:14:26 | Speaker 3:

relationship because of that can i hang up on that could by the way zach you know what it's not all aquarius just some of them uh but that could just be that person too i don't think that their sign made them do it. They're just nuts. All right, Kara, go to Kara next. Yeah, we're getting ready. Kara, go. That's a typical Gemini right there. What's up, Kara? Hi. Hi, good morning. How are you? We're doing great.

01:14:28 - 01:14:31 | Speaker 4:

Look at that. I hope you warm up. They're making announcements.

01:14:32 - 01:14:43 | Speaker 3:

Wait, hold on. Stop for a second. Stop for a second if you can. I can't hear you. What is that? They're having soundcheck. That's a great time to do soundcheck. All right, say that, what you were going to say again.

01:14:44 - 01:14:45 | Speaker 4:

Can you hear me okay?

01:14:45 - 01:14:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I got you now.

01:14:46 - 01:14:51 | Speaker 4:

Now batting number five. Did you fix your computer yet?

01:14:52 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 3:

No, I didn't. Why, do you know anything about these ThinkPads? Okay, well, I'm not in IT, so I'm not helpful.

01:15:00 - 01:15:24 | Speaker 5:

them that way but i have a think pad and every time it gets kind of frozen you can do a hard reset it might work maybe maybe not how do i hard reset that so wherever your power button is just press and hold it and hold it down for like 30 seconds okay even if it shuts off or even if it doesn't just give it a 30 second hold and then usually it will reset it i know it sounds silly

01:15:24 - 01:15:27 | Speaker 1:

but are you in india because the only people that ever give me info like this are usually when i

01:15:27 - 01:15:34 | Speaker 5:

call up and they're in india from technical support okay thank you i'm trying this okay

01:15:34 - 01:16:14 | Speaker 1:

01:16:14 - 01:16:24 | Speaker 3:

Hi there I was just wanting to comment on the signs and things like that And I think that Gemini is going to get a bad rap, but you guys are pretty, like, cool people.

01:16:24 - 01:16:28 | Speaker 1:

I'll talk to you all day. You know I'm a Gemini.

01:16:28 - 01:16:37 | Speaker 3:

My husband's a Gemini and, like, one of my friends. Like, you guys are cool. You get, like, in mood, but unless people know you, they don't really understand that it's not about them.

01:16:37 - 01:16:43 | Speaker 1:

You know what? I'm going to give you my wife Chelsea's phone number, and you guys can share that. I love you. Have a great weekend.

01:16:43 - 01:16:44 | Speaker 2:

All right. You too. Thanks.

01:16:45 - 01:16:49 | Speaker 1:

Shelby's still hanging out with us. Hi, Shelby. Shelby, what's up, Shelby?

01:16:51 - 01:17:01 | Speaker 4:

Hi, I wanted to comment on the Leos because I dated a Leo. He was super narcissistic, super toxic, and he is also in prison for murdering his baby mama.

01:17:01 - 01:17:03 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my goodness gracious. What's up with the Leos?

01:17:03 - 01:17:20 | Speaker 1:

All right, hold on. Leos. Zach, what are you again? Aquarius. Aquarius, Leos, murderers. Oh, my gosh. Wow. Well, you date better. Date of Gemini. You just heard Neosha a second ago. What's up?

01:17:20 - 01:17:21 | Speaker 6:

My husband's a Pisces.

01:17:21 - 01:17:45 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Pisces too. What's his name? What's your husband's name? Paris. All right. Bianca. What's up, Bianca? Hello. Hi, Bianca. Bianca. Hey, we're hanging out right now. Friday Night Dance Party on Channel 955. You're in the mix with DJ Shortstop. Good time, Long Tom. What's going on?

01:17:45 - 01:17:49 | Speaker 5:

Yay, first time, long time. Hey, hey, hold on, hold on, hold on. He's on the phone.

01:17:51 - 01:18:12 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. And I knew that was the reason why I love Kevin. Kevin, you're an Aries, I'm an Aries, and we are just awesome. That's all it is. And people who don't like Aries just want to get over on Aries because we're the sweetest people in the world. But I will say, to Shannon's question, I will never, ever, for the rest of my life, ever date another Scorpio, ever.

01:18:12 - 01:18:14 | Speaker 1:

Okay, what did a Scorpio do to you?

01:18:15 - 01:18:29 | Speaker 2:

So my brothers are Scorpio. Everybody, like a lot of people I know are Scorpios, and I've dated two back-to-back and never again. They, no, no, never in this world. They need something. I don't know what they need, but they need something.

01:18:29 - 01:18:32 | Speaker 1:

Did he murder or do anything like that?

01:18:33 - 01:18:39 | Speaker 2:

No, they didn't. He didn't, but they're very big. They're manipulative. That's what they are. They're manipulative.

01:18:40 - 01:19:00 | Speaker 1:

All right, we don't like them. All right, thank you. And then last but not least, Hazy. What's up, Hazy? Hey, how are you guys doing? Hazy, this has been a day that I'm telling you, if it wasn't that Shannon has literally had to talk me off the edge about five or six times, I probably would run out on the field naked.

01:19:02 - 01:19:05 | Speaker 6:

I think you just need some hot coffee or something to warm you up, Mojo. You'll be okay, I promise.

01:19:06 - 01:19:07 | Speaker 1:

What's going on? Hi.

01:19:08 - 01:19:12 | Speaker 6:

I just wanted to say I'm also a Gemini. Go Gems. Love us. Yes.

01:19:12 - 01:19:13 | Speaker 1:

Shout out to the Gems.

01:19:13 - 01:19:43 | Speaker 6:

to do a little bit of a deep dive on that, you want to look at your birth chart, Kev. You'll know all the things, everything, your personality, just kind of dive into it a little bit. Okay, so there's some truth to it. Yeah, definitely. And just so you know, Kev, your birthday is on a full moon, almost. What does that mean? That means you should definitely have a good night, but be safe.

01:19:44 - 01:19:58 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Well, this is great. This is awesome. Thank you. Now it's raining. They're spraying the field with water and I'm getting wet. My computers are wet.

01:20:00 - 01:20:01 | Speaker 2:

Lydia, was it the broadcast from here?

01:20:01 - 01:20:02 | Speaker 3:

What the hell?

01:20:02 - 01:20:05 | Speaker 2:

You're on suspension. Lydia.

01:20:05 - 01:20:09 | Speaker 3:

I'm on suspension. You could have done it in a broadcast room, but that's boring.

01:20:09 - 01:20:13 | Speaker 2:

Lydia. God love it. All right, here we go.

01:20:14 - 01:20:21 | Speaker 1:

Detroit. WSNX. Muskegon. Grand Rapids. WVKS. Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:20:21 - 01:20:23 | Speaker 3:

01:20:26 - 01:20:27 | Speaker 3:

Mojo. Mojo. Mojo. Mojo.

01:20:27 - 01:20:35 | Speaker 4:

Mojo. Mojo. Mojo. Mojo. Mojo. Mojo. Five, four, three, two, one.

01:20:35 - 01:20:39 | Speaker 1:

Ignition sequence start. Let me take y'all back to the beginning. This is it.

01:20:39 - 01:20:40 | Speaker 2:

All right, are you ready?

01:20:41 - 01:20:43 | Speaker 1:

You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

01:20:43 - 01:20:44 | Speaker 2:

You're a doo-doo head.

01:20:48 - 01:20:49 | Speaker 1:

Let's go.

01:20:49 - 01:21:52 | Speaker 2:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. We're giving away Tiger's opening day tickets this hour. This hour. Yes. Yes, this hour, somebody's going to win between 8.30 and 9.30. We are doing hit it and quit it for tickets. Hit it and quit it. We're giving you a chance to win a pair of tickets opening day today. The game is sold out. So your chance to win between 8.30 and 9 o'clock. my lord you know what the worst is what's the worst ran and peed during the uh the song there and i got all of the warmth out of my body i couldn't even find my thing is this taylor Taylor Olsen We finally get to We finally meet Our lives are complete now Right over here

01:21:52 - 01:21:58 | Speaker 1:

Look at the earmuffs she has on Those are our headphones She does have earmuffs

01:21:58 - 01:22:08 | Speaker 2:

Look at the earmuffs Those are the headphones we gave you Taylor, find me some warmth And I'll buy Every unsold ticket for the rest of the year

01:22:08 - 01:22:10 | Speaker 1:

Oh, hold on

01:22:10 - 01:22:27 | Speaker 2:

I got to turn the microphone on. See, you know what this is? The mic's froze on us here. Hold on a second there. Turn that thing on. I can't. You know what it is? I don't have the gloves on that I can actually work my phone. So my phone is, you're shaking too, aren't you? You're a little cold.

01:22:27 - 01:22:37 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. And you poor thing, by the way, are wearing high heels, no socks. As soon as you walked in, I'm like, that poor thing. My mom would not be proud of me. You have to be so cold.

01:22:38 - 01:22:39 | Speaker 1:

They stylish, though.

01:22:40 - 01:22:45 | Speaker 2:

You're a cold weather girl. You've lived in this stuff. You know what's going on, right? Oh, yeah. Yeah.

01:22:45 - 01:22:51 | Speaker 3:

I think it's best to embrace it. Is it? To be honest. There's no other choice. There's no other choice. Dive in. You're in it.

01:22:52 - 01:23:19 | Speaker 2:

I'm the worst at this because, first off, I love opening day, but I don't like to go to opening day. I watch it on FanDuel Sports or whatever. I watch Jason Benetti and do all that stuff. And I'll sit in a bar, and I'm cool with that. And all my dopey friends, they're all out here, and they get drunk, and they drink, like, cold drinks. Like, seriously, we talked last hour. Do you guys even sell the big, tall, like, frozen drinks at this time of the year? Probably, right?

01:23:19 - 01:23:30 | Speaker 3:

That's actually a great question. I want to say we do. Oh, my God. I want to say we do. I mean, those youpers, I think they're slamming the daiquiris in 30-degree weather.

01:23:30 - 01:23:50 | Speaker 2:

Actually, you're right. And you know what? They just got done with some of the worst weather this past week. Oh, I know. So they're, like, yelling at us if they're listening to us on the iHeartRadio app right now. So, Taylor, good things going on for Tigers. Obviously, you guys ended last season. Look at a smile on your face from last season, too, right? Was that as big a surprise to you as it was to the fans?

01:23:51 - 01:24:24 | Speaker 3:

I mean, we had a 0.2% chance of making the postseason in August. And, I mean, it was just a – it's kind of a flash, honestly, in my memory. but the best flash obviously um didn't see it coming in august and then that insane run that we had yeah oh my gosh i mean i think it just gives you all of the juices that like like this is what we sign up for when we come and work for the tigers this is what the fans like want so the fact that they were able to pull that off is still just incredible to think about we at our

01:24:24 - 01:24:43 | Speaker 2:

stations uh we call it the i heart scramble where at the last moment bob pitman will come to us and say all right we're doing this and we've got something going on i feel like you guys had to do like the tiger scramble because we did you have to be prepared you're going to be hosting a playoff game you know what i mean yeah so it had to be pretty pretty wild for you guys oh yeah

01:24:43 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 3:

and sold out playoff games yeah yeah it was magical magical run um still looking back on that i think we all have that momentum still like heading into this season yeah and we feel it like we felt it in spring like feel like that we're

01:25:00 - 01:25:04 | Speaker 1:

radiating off the fans too the fans are really excited we're seeing that all over social so

01:25:04 - 01:25:29 | Speaker 2:

well but being on in Toledo uh and having so many Mud Hen fans that listen to us and then many of the players that are on this team make their way through the the ranks we know more about these players than in years past when a Tigers team would come out on the field and we didn't know what they were going to do and there was like maybe three veterans or something or Miguel was on the team so it's neat to see and this team has got a future too that's the cool part about it

01:25:29 - 01:25:37 | Speaker 1:

It does. We are built for the future. Built different. Yeah, we're built different. We're built for the future. Yep, I love that. Thank you.

01:25:38 - 01:25:55 | Speaker 3:

Well, look, speaking of the future. Nice plug. I got you. Speaking of the future real quick, but also tying the thread to the past, this is Mojo's 25th year in the city of Detroit. And it's also the 25th year that, right? So kind of speak about this year and what we can anticipate celebrating 25 years. Yeah, love that one.

01:25:55 - 01:25:55 | Speaker 1:

Congrats.

01:25:55 - 01:25:58 | Speaker 2:

I need new seats like you guys got new seats. Can I have the heated seats for a little bit?

01:25:58 - 01:26:08 | Speaker 1:

Where are those heated seats? I was sitting in them actually in our home plate club right behind home plate. And it was a little chilly earlier and I was sitting in one, I'm not going to lie.

01:26:08 - 01:26:15 | Speaker 2:

Explain that they're temperature controlled for both the weather like we have now, but later in July it's going to be temperature controlled. Can you explain that?

01:26:15 - 01:26:27 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so there's heating and cooling options. Oh, those are fancy. It is incredible. And I was sitting in them and they are plush. Yeah. They look comfortable. They are plush. What do you have to do to get one of those seats?

01:26:27 - 01:26:29 | Speaker 3:

Spend that money. You got to make a lot of money.

01:26:29 - 01:26:32 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. No, for real. You can buy them. Yeah.

01:26:33 - 01:26:39 | Speaker 2:

You got to be Mad Ishbia. You got to be somebody like it. You got to be.

01:26:39 - 01:27:04 | Speaker 1:

I love, wait, going back to the 25th anniversary, though, we're really pumped. I mean, it's hard to believe it's been 25 years in this ballpark. But, again, I'm glad you brought up Home Play Club, too, because we're just trying to elevate the ballpark and the fan experience year after year. We saw that we wanted to create more premium spaces, and so that's why we brought that in. Really excited for fans to sit in the seats today, but we are.

01:27:04 - 01:27:11 | Speaker 2:

They come with something cool, though, too. Those people that sit in those seats have an underground club that they get to go to.

01:27:11 - 01:27:11 | Speaker 3:

Whoa.

01:27:12 - 01:27:14 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Where they get all kinds of premium drinks and food.

01:27:15 - 01:27:41 | Speaker 1:

Unlimited. Yes, and we are, I love all of these synchronicities, but that is that underground area that's completely exclusive and all-inclusive is going to be opening the weekend that we're celebrating the 25th anniversary of Comerica Park. So it all lines up perfectly here. But yeah, excited to like share fan memories and team moments. It's been so much that has happened

01:27:41 - 01:27:47 | Speaker 2:

in these walls. So what's up with this scoreboard thing that literally I want to come here and play

01:27:47 - 01:28:01 | Speaker 1:

a video game on it. Can I play Fortnite on that thing? Yes. So it looks like they're testing out um what looks to be a pitching change so and it's shaped like a t for tigers i love that i'm

01:28:01 - 01:28:22 | Speaker 2:

not sure if that was planned i mean i don't know it's huge but for anybody that's ever been to a game the normal you know tigers co-america park uh scoreboard is completely different now it's all video screens uh it's beautiful literally they're right up on you i don't know how a player is able to concentrate on hitting a ball with that thing it was a lot of chatter online about

01:28:22 - 01:28:26 | Speaker 3:

the change but i'm telling y'all sitting and standing here in the ballpark it is beautiful

01:28:26 - 01:28:45 | Speaker 2:

you got to come and put your eyes on it yeah that's cool taylor olsen the uh the superstar with the uh detroit tigers and uh our connection to maybe sitting in the warm seats in about five minutes here during a commercial break if you can get us if you can warm up a couple like three

01:28:45 - 01:28:50 | Speaker 1:

four five you guys want to walk over there yeah all right we're gonna i know i want to go there

01:28:50 - 01:29:06 | Speaker 2:

too i so i i never lester told me this lester we got to use the uh bullpen bathroom they have like literally a bathroom in the bullpen and lester says to me he goes be careful you're gonna lose all your heat i lost all my heat when i went when i went pee just a little bit ago so thank you for

01:29:06 - 01:29:13 | Speaker 3:

having us out here we love you guys so much thank you guys thank you go tigers come on

01:29:13 - 01:29:57 | Speaker 2:

homestand against the white socks they stink the white socks stink we got okay chicago we got to do We've got to do what the Dodgers did to us this homestand. Let's go. You know what I mean? And what we did to the White Sox. Well, what we did to the White Sox last year, it seemed like, all the time. So we're going to give away a pair of tickets in the next, I don't know, like 30 minutes. Because I said between 8.30 and 9 o'clock, Shannon's going to do the dirty. First, though, I've got tickets right now to see Tina Fey, Amy Poehler. That is across the street at Mr. Illich's other property, the Fox Theater. property uh 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 844 mojo live 95th caller you get to win good luck

01:30:00 - 01:30:19 | Speaker 4:

By the way, when you walked in, Taylor, we didn't, I don't know if you knew this. Shannon right away goes, how does she walk in the heels on the rocks that are right here? Like she was built different all the way around. Seriously, that's a woman right there, Shannon. We love her.

01:30:19 - 01:30:25 | Speaker 1:

Well, then I'm a man because I am wearing sneakers. That's okay.

01:30:26 - 01:30:29 | Speaker 2:

We'll take you. We got to get a picture. We got to get a picture with T over before she leaves. Yes, we do.

01:30:29 - 01:30:32 | Speaker 4:

All right, so don't go anywhere. Let her do the dirty real quick and stay with us.

01:30:32 - 01:31:02 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so I talked about this story earlier, and I want to talk about it once again because I think it's the big one today. Scarlett Johansson has had a stalker, and they finally got this guy because he was an idiot and threatened to bomb the SNL studio where her husband Colin Jost works. Michael Joseph Branham is his name. He was busted in Manhattan on Wednesday afternoon for text messaging this threat that reads, the next time you hear from me, he spelled here wrong, okay. The next time you hear from me.

01:31:02 - 01:31:04 | Speaker 4:

By the way, stalkers are not good spellers.

01:31:04 - 01:32:08 | Speaker 1:

No, they're not. I will be on CNN, not SNL, for exploding a bomb in the SNL audience. It was text messaged to the messaging service from the university he attends, And then a global security investigator for NBCUniversal and 30 Rock, where the show is filmed, of course, received this text and very promptly reported it. And something even creepier to me is when they brought this guy to jail. And, of course, they have to do, you know, like a strip search, whatever. He has scarlet tattooed with a big heart on his torso. Wow. Like taking up his entire torso, which is weird. He was arraigned late last night in Manhattan Criminal Court on felony charges held. He's being held on $300,000 bond. We talked earlier in the week about this interview that DJ Academics did with Kanye West. And Kanye shows up to this thing wearing a silver swastika necklace and also an entirely full body black KKK outfit. And so now Academics is being asked about that interview.

01:32:09 - 01:32:51 | Speaker 2:

He gave me a heads up, you know, and I read the text wrong at first. He was just like, I'm wearing my black outfit. And I was like, well, black's my favorite color. I'm thinking he's just going to wear black. And then I read it again. He's like, no, I'm wearing my black KKK outfit. And, I mean, you know, I tried to at least start the conversation by saying, why this representation? You're right. It's hard to ignore the obvious. That's the elephant in the room. He's sending very strong symbols that, you know, again, he's walking around with a swastika chain. You know what I mean? Having conversations with him on camera and even off camera, even if you disagree, he is making some coherent points.

01:32:55 - 01:32:58 | Speaker 4:

Again, I don't know how coherent his points were.

01:32:59 - 01:33:42 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, Kev, I think that your gut might be not healthy. And I say that because you are one of very few people I know that fart and it doesn't stink. Oh, thank you. And so there is a story today about farts in the dirty. Farts, a very natural sign that your digestive system is alive. Smelly farts. The smellier they are, that's actually a sign of a healthy digestive system. Your gut is home to trillions of little microbes that help you digest food. And in the process, create gases like carbon monoxide, methane, and hydrogen. So if you've ever caught a whiff of rotten eggs, if you're sitting next to Mojo, That is hydrogen sulfide.

01:33:42 - 01:33:43 | Speaker 4:

I'm a healthy person.

01:33:43 - 01:34:05 | Speaker 1:

Yes, it is a gas-produced when you're digesting foods like eggs and red meat. Protein-heavy diets can also lead to extra smelly farts. Good for you. However, maybe you're just eating a lot of fiber because fiber farts cause more gas but less odor. But actually, stinky farts are not a bad thing. It means your gut's working and you're healthy.

01:34:05 - 01:34:17 | Speaker 4:

I farted around Bianca yesterday, and I don't think she's been able to see straight seconds. real quick don't go anywhere okay okay Emily what was up Emily hi uh are you calling from the UP

01:34:17 - 01:34:33 | Speaker 3:

um I I I would say first time long time hey Emily's on the boat um I went and did my undergrad at Michigan Tech so I know good and well what a very hard winter is

01:34:33 - 01:34:50 | Speaker 4:

you're crazy you're laughing listen and you know what's funny is it's what 32 or 33 or something what is the temperature right now i know it's in the 30s or whatever yeah so i'm you know it's cold it's not the coldest that i've ever stood outside but i've never had to do a whole show outside in

01:34:50 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 3:

that so fair enough i mean winter carnival up there is a different world man it totally changes you now that i'm doing my grad school elsewhere I'm sorry.

01:35:00 - 01:35:10 | Speaker 2:

It's definitely changed me. I'm telling you, man. We make our women tough in Michigan, especially up in the UP, right? Yeah, UP. We love you. Take care. Thanks for the call.

01:37:45 - 01:38:00 | Speaker 1:

So smart. You want to know what's so funny is this morning Wes woke up with me and he's like, I have some warmers in the garage that I pulled out if you want to bring them. And I go, I'm not going to be that girl that walks into Comerica Park with a warmer. Oh, my God. Why didn't I say yes?

01:38:00 - 01:38:04 | Speaker 2:

Would Wes like a job as an assistant producer to Lydia?

01:38:04 - 01:38:08 | Speaker 1:

I was like, I'm not doing that. And everybody has them. And it's so smart.

01:38:08 - 01:38:45 | Speaker 2:

I give Lydia crap, but she does so much work for the show that that's, like, the last thing in the world she should be thinking about. But next year, warmers. They got those. And then I just made a couple of appearances on TV stations. I have no idea who they are. Did you really? I did. A couple guys. I walked in behind one guy, and he goes, oh, look at this. He goes, hey, this guy is from Mojo in the Morning. And I go, yeah, it is. I'm from Mojo in the Morning. But I said, I have no idea who it is. I think there's some stations from Lansing here, and then we got a couple of West Michigan's finest hanging out with us. I stole a donut from somebody's table.

01:38:45 - 01:38:46 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's what I want.

01:38:46 - 01:38:47 | Speaker 2:

They got Dutch girl over there.

01:38:47 - 01:38:51 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God, please go get me one. I ain't going over there. Put the microphone down. I already went.

01:38:51 - 01:39:12 | Speaker 2:

Please. I'll point you in the right direction. Donut. Do you know how fat you look when you go to the second time up to the buffet table? I don't know if they for everybody, but they over there about to close. Thank you. The best with Kevin is, this is the funniest thing. And Kevin just walks right up, and he acts like, hey, man, what's going on? Thanks for the donut. I was like, hey, can I have a donut?

01:39:12 - 01:39:14 | Speaker 1:

She was like, oh, yeah. I was like, any Dutch girls?

01:39:14 - 01:39:15 | Unknown:

Hey.

01:39:15 - 01:39:17 | Speaker 1:

I've never had Dutch girls. Today's your day.

01:39:18 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 2:

Is that the one that's on Woodward? Yes. The infamous donut? Yes, just reopened. Fantastic. All right, it is time now for Hit It and Quit It on the Mojo in the Morning. Hold on a second. I got my sound box here, but my fingers are frozen. it is time now on mojo in the morning for hit it or quit it or actually hit it and quit it all right um one night stands it's amazing nearly 50 percent of people have had a one night stand your stat keeps changing you know it's i know it's for no it's you're making it up you did it's 40 it's nearly 50 i said nearly 50 and then

01:40:00 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 4:

You said 50.

01:40:00 - 01:40:03 | Speaker 1:

I said nearly 50. Listen to me. You did not say listen.

01:40:03 - 01:40:06 | Speaker 4:

You are making this up. I know you are. There's nothing in front of you.

01:40:07 - 01:40:12 | Speaker 1:

Can they see us on Facebook Live right now? Because I'm about ready to flip her off.

01:40:12 - 01:40:19 | Speaker 4:

Get all the action out here. A survey I read this morning said 68% of people have had one night stands.

01:40:20 - 01:40:58 | Speaker 1:

No, no. And 100% of Mojo is pissed at Shannon right now. All right. So we wanted to hear about your one-night stands. We talked this morning about ours, and we were discussing that it's not to be shameful. Let's not slut shame all of us sluts. But we've done it, and you know what? It happens. So we want to hear yours. The best one-night stand story is going to have a chance to win tickets to go to the game today, opening day. Tiffany, batting first. What's up, Tiffany? Hi, Tiffany.

01:40:58 - 01:41:32 | Speaker 3:

Hi. So I had a one night stand with a guy, seemed fine at first. And then when we started doing things, he kept making this noise. And it was like this. And then it was very weird. And then I, he, you know, things weren't great. And so when he was leaving, he was like, you don't look very happy. And then I saw his teeth, and they were rotten. I got a yeast infection. Oh, my God.

01:41:32 - 01:41:32 | Unknown:

Oh, Lord.

01:41:32 - 01:41:47 | Speaker 1:

Wait, wait, wait. Stop for a second. And then two weeks later, I didn't know what the ha-pah was. Didn't you notice he had the bad teeth before you started getting the ha-pah, ha-pah, ha-pah? No, because it was very dark.

01:41:47 - 01:41:48 | Speaker 3:

It was dark.

01:41:48 - 01:41:50 | Speaker 1:

Been there before. Where did you guys meet?

01:41:50 - 01:41:58 | Speaker 3:

um at i think it's bar louis but it was very dark oh bar louis r.i.p bar louis

01:41:58 - 01:42:03 | Speaker 1:

i'm out of business guys teeth there's a lot of one night stands there okay so what was the last

01:42:03 - 01:42:13 | Speaker 3:

part you're gonna say oh yeah okay so then two weeks later he texts me and he's like hey what are you doing want to hang out and i'm like please tell me you just want this was terrible

01:42:13 - 01:42:41 | Speaker 1:

you know what's funny is uh if you don't like a lot of times women do not and men don't want to get one nice hand they don't want it to happen so even if it's a bad experience they'll go back and they'll go out with them again so they can say at least i went out with them again it was just not a good situation i i know some girls that will do that like they'll go oh it was so horrible but i gotta at least go out with him to dinner or lunch or something afterwards so it

01:42:41 - 01:42:43 | Speaker 4:

It doesn't fall in that category anymore.

01:42:44 - 01:42:54 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, because you feel like you're going to be shamed. What's up? Christina is next here, batting second. Christina with your hit it and quit it story for us for opening day tickets.

01:42:56 - 01:42:57 | Speaker 3:

Okay, ready?

01:42:57 - 01:42:57 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

01:42:58 - 01:43:35 | Speaker 3:

I went to Canada with my girlfriends. We had a plan that we were all going to sleep with somebody. And three of the four of us did. I know. This was, you know, when you could drink in Canada at 19. I mean, three of the four of us found somebody to sleep with. The one person who didn't got mad, left us all in Canada before cell phones and whatever. And we had to, you know, do the walk of shame to find, you know, pay phones and whoever would let us make a call because, yeah, we were left because we all had one night stands and she didn't. Oh, my gosh.

01:43:35 - 01:44:07 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Now, how old were you at the time when this happened? You were, you said, 18, 17, 19 years old. You know, what was the bar that Big Boy used to do Wednesday nights? He would do Wednesday nights at the same bar, and we would hear these stories the next morning. We would come into the studio, and listeners would call us up coming home from that club. Oh, what's up, Kaylee? It's Mojo in the mornings. Hit it and quit it for one night stands. for our opening day tickets. What's going on?

01:44:09 - 01:44:34 | Speaker 2:

Hey, so a couple years ago, I was at a house party. Me and this one guy were hitting it off. Turns out it was his birthday, and he wanted a little extra birthday present, but he was living with his mom. Anyway, we still go through with it. Next thing I know, I wake up to pounding on his bedroom door at 6 in the morning. Get up!

01:44:34 - 01:44:35 | Speaker 1:

It was dad and mom.

01:44:35 - 01:44:57 | Speaker 2:

Mom is screaming, pounding on the door. What is going on? He pushes me into the closet. Then what do you know? The mom walks in. Where's the first place she looks? The closet. Oh, my gosh. I have nothing but a bra and underwear on. Don't call me mom.

01:44:57 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 1:

That's great. and it

01:45:00 - 01:45:27 | Speaker 4:

And, you know, she looks me up and down, and I just have to go, hi, I'm Kaylee. Mom, mom, mom. She looks me up and down. She's like, you need to go. I had to order an Uber all the way 40 minutes back to my house. Thankfully, the Uber stopped at a gas station for me to get water. Turns out when I put my pants on, not only were they backwards, but they were inside out.

01:45:27 - 01:45:30 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's beautiful. That's a great one. By the way, you're my favorite so far.

01:45:31 - 01:45:32 | Speaker 4:

Same. No, I like the first girl.

01:45:32 - 01:45:38 | Speaker 1:

No, no. So far, that's a good one. I like that one. Yep. I'll give you that so far.

01:45:39 - 01:45:42 | Speaker 2:

You only like the first girl? Two to one so far. With the rotten teeth?

01:45:43 - 01:45:55 | Speaker 1:

No, that one had a lot to it. There was just too much. But I liked Kaylee's. Yeah, that was a good one. Should we get a guy in here? Let's go to Steve. Steve, for a chance to go to opening day, we're doing your one-night stand stories. Hit it and quit it.

01:45:57 - 01:45:58 | Speaker 7:

Hey, my name's Gage.

01:46:00 - 01:46:01 | Speaker 1:

Why did I call you Steve?

01:46:01 - 01:46:05 | Speaker 3:

So why did you tell me your name was Steve? You're the only guy I have on stage.

01:46:05 - 01:46:11 | Speaker 1:

Lydia, this is how all my one-night stands start with guys. They don't give me the right name. Go ahead. Whoa.

01:46:12 - 01:46:49 | Speaker 7:

So I was about 19 years old. I was a recording artist, kind of couch surfing. I'd crash wherever I could, and I met this girl at a party. Went back home with her and did my normal thing, left in the morning without saying anything. um blocked her number but a few weeks later i get a phone call from this number i don't know it's her mom and they're asking me to go to her house and i get there and they are dancing in the driveway ecstatic because she is pregnant oh my god i just dropped this little girl off Oh, my God.

01:46:51 - 01:46:52 | Speaker 1:

That's awful, Gage.

01:46:52 - 01:46:57 | Speaker 7:

Wait, did you say you just dropped your little girl off? Yep, just dropped her off at kindergarten.

01:46:57 - 01:47:01 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's cute. That's a good one, too, though. What do you think?

01:47:02 - 01:47:04 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean, that's a one-night stand turn forever.

01:47:05 - 01:47:12 | Speaker 1:

That's a possibility. Kaylee, you might have somebody in the running there. Alicia, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

01:47:13 - 01:47:14 | Speaker 3:

Good morning, Mojo.

01:47:14 - 01:47:18 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. We're getting ready for opening day. You'd like to go today, huh?

01:47:19 - 01:47:21 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. Yeah, definitely.

01:47:22 - 01:47:24 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Let's hear your one-night stand story.

01:47:25 - 01:47:56 | Speaker 3:

Oh, God. Okay. I was the manager at Subway for a while. A gentleman came in, you know, several times, and finally he invited me over. Well, I went over. We drank a few beers and, you know, got to that point where he about got to that point, and he started barking and howling and barking. And I'm telling you, I could not get my pants up. Fast enough, I left my hat. I left everything for work there. I'll tell you, every time he came back into the store, I never waited on him. That's a good one.

01:47:57 - 01:48:02 | Speaker 1:

That's funny. By the way, what's up with the guys making noise during their sexual encounter?

01:48:02 - 01:48:04 | Speaker 7:

These are all very strange.

01:48:05 - 01:48:18 | Speaker 1:

Two more. Courtney, are you there? Yes, hello. Hi, Courtney. What's happening? We're hanging in Comerica Park, getting ready for a Tiger's opening day. you'd like to go hit it and quit it. What's going on?

01:48:19 - 01:48:33 | Speaker 4:

Oh, it was a night. So I, of course, brought a guy home. I had a roommate. He brought a girl home. Woke up the next morning, you know, get up, have coffee, sit in there. The girl walks out. It's my guy's grandma. Wait, what? What?

01:48:33 - 01:48:36 | Speaker 2:

Hold on. Wait, wait, wait. Rewind.

01:48:36 - 01:48:40 | Speaker 5:

It's who? Your grandma? It's my one-night stands grandma.

01:48:41 - 01:48:42 | Speaker 1:

Your one-night stands grandma.

01:48:43 - 01:48:43 | Unknown:

Okay.

01:48:43 - 01:48:52 | Speaker 1:

I thought you said it was like a threesome or something. So his grandma walked in on the one-night stand. So we had a mom walk in on the one-night stand and a grandma. No, no, no.

01:48:52 - 01:48:53 | Speaker 5:

She didn't walk in.

01:48:53 - 01:48:54 | Speaker 1:

What'd she do?

01:48:54 - 01:49:02 | Speaker 5:

She had the one-night stand with my roommate. Oh, the grandma was messy. Oh. The grandma was having the one-night stand as well as the grandson.

01:49:03 - 01:49:10 | Speaker 1:

So the grandson had a one-night stand with you, and the grandma had a one-night stand with who? My roommate. Your roommate.

01:49:10 - 01:49:12 | Speaker 5:

Are you kidding me? The tri-

01:49:12 - 01:49:12 | Speaker 1:

That's like tri- What?

01:49:13 - 01:49:22 | Speaker 2:

That's a double play. That's a double play. Yeah. It's a two-run shot to left field. Amazing. What's your roommate's name? Craig.

01:49:24 - 01:49:27 | Speaker 1:

Craig. Oh, man, you better take him to this game.

01:49:27 - 01:49:30 | Speaker 2:

Did grandma and grandson leave together?

01:49:31 - 01:49:37 | Speaker 6:

It was a very awkward coffee, and my roommate and I just kind of high-fived and laughed. I was like, see ya.

01:49:37 - 01:49:40 | Speaker 1:

Do you think anyone's going to be better than that one? I don't know.

01:49:41 - 01:49:43 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Grandma got ran over by her.

01:49:43 - 01:49:55 | Speaker 1:

Hold on, one last one. Ari, is yours even close to that, the last couple?

01:49:55 - 01:49:57 | Speaker 3:

Well, it definitely involves my grandma.

01:49:58 - 01:50:27 | Speaker 1:

Oh, tell us. I want to hear. Well, I went out drinking and brought a guy home, and I lived with my grandma at the time, and we baked cookies. He went to the bathroom, which was across the hall. He took a wrong term and ended up in my grandma's room and crawled into bed with her. She woke up screaming, and then in the morning after he left, she was having coffee. She looked me dead in the face after taking a sip and goes, don't ever bring another one-night stand home again. Oh, no. Wow.

01:50:27 - 01:50:29 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my gosh.

01:50:29 - 01:51:11 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. Those are good. These are all really good. These are all phenomenal. These are all fantastic. Hold on a second. I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to tell you, I think that the best ones have been the last few. Yeah. I think Kaylee's still was a great one with the mom in the closet. The pregnancy gauge, that was a good one. Yep. And then the grandma and the roommate, and then the last one, the grandma. Which, hold on, votes right now. You and Kevin talked to each other off the air. and you guys pick which one who's going to get the opening day alicia smith from channel seven alicia i'm going to talk to you real quick hold on how are you can i say hi to you real quick

Is Mike Murray like the meanest boss ever he sends you guys out to this? Oh, he's the nicest guy, but I get in trouble a lot, and that's how I get sent out here. 01:52:07 - 01:52:11 | Speaker 3:

Let me tell you something. We're getting warmers because we just noticed the Fox 2 people have warmers.

01:52:11 - 01:52:11 | Speaker 4:

I don't even know.

01:52:11 - 01:52:12 | Speaker 3:

So smart.

01:52:12 - 01:52:13 | Speaker 5:

That was smart. What is that?

01:52:13 - 01:52:14 | Speaker 3:

Is that Union over there?

01:52:15 - 01:52:20 | Speaker 5:

Can I just tell you, we just did a shortcut through the dugout. They have mega huge heaters in there.

01:52:21 - 01:52:26 | Speaker 4:

This whole time, I was sitting right in front of it. They're not in there because that's the ticket.

01:52:26 - 01:52:33 | Speaker 2:

You can tell they're comfortable because they're smiling. I know. Look at him. He's smiling. And they got short-sleeved shirts on. And snacks. That's our Lester from our show.

01:52:33 - 01:52:36 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no, there's Lester. No, hold on. There you are. We love you guys.

01:52:36 - 01:52:37 | Speaker 4:

Love you too, Mojo.

01:52:42 - 01:52:47 | Speaker 6:

And Kevin, I, but I got to look at your phone screen because I don't remember her name. Hang on. Do you know the story? Yes.

01:52:47 - 01:52:48 | Speaker 3:

All right. Ready?

01:52:48 - 01:52:49 | Speaker 6:

Oh, yeah. Okay.

01:52:49 - 01:52:56 | Speaker 3:

Okay. All right. The winner of tickets to go to opening day today, Shannon, is?

01:52:57 - 01:52:58 | Speaker 6:

Hi, what's happening? Fox 2. I love Fox 2. What do you do? Are you the man? Are you the reason why these guys had heaters? Because if you're the reason why they had heaters, we're hiring you at iHeartRadio. It's Mojo in the morning. We're hanging out this morning, and we're on the field. Oh, look at this. Look at this. We've got coaches doing base running drills and stuff like that. This is pretty cool. I like this. This is actually fun. Come on over. Get a picture with us here. Come over. Come on over. Let me guess. The wife listens. What's your name? Come on over. Your name is Koff? Rafi. Rafi. Rafi, I'm Mojo. Nice to meet you. And what do you do over at Fox 2?

01:54:22 - 01:54:23 | Unknown:

I'm a video engineer.

01:54:23 - 01:54:29 | Speaker 3:

Here, get closer to the microphone. Oh, awesome. Get closer. Say hi to your family and friends all across the universe here right now.

01:54:29 - 01:54:34 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, good morning and happy opening day. I love it. Happy opening day.

01:54:34 - 01:55:13 | Speaker 3:

Rafi, if you could steal one of those heat warmers from Dina Santifanti, would you bring it over here to us? Sure. I'll get you tickets to Jingle Ball this year. Thank you. I appreciate you, buddy. Sure, thank you. All right. Rafi. Here we go. Rafi in the house. This is beautiful. Can I tell you guys something, though? The funny thing is, the last time that we had one of these broadcasts where I saw it to myself. I don't care anymore. I listened back on the podcast later in the day, and I laughed so hard. So I'm trying to figure out how this is going to be today.

01:55:13 - 01:55:16 | Speaker 2:

I think we've got a few good moments. Yeah, what a great moment.

01:55:17 - 01:55:49 | Speaker 3:

I wish the Facebook Live is great. If you get a chance, go look at the Facebook Live that we did because you can truly hear the excitement in us. I'm telling you, if Bianca caught the Facebook Live when you two guys were trying to convince me that we had to leave and get back to the radio studios, it might have been, honestly, it might have been funnier than any phone scam, street scam, five lies to tell your mom, anything we've ever done.

01:55:49 - 01:55:51 | Speaker 2:

I thought it was a great idea, Shani.

01:55:51 - 01:55:55 | Speaker 1:

Clearly, we were not persuasive enough because we're still here.

01:55:55 - 01:56:03 | Speaker 3:

It was like two kids trying to convince their parents that they wanted to stay up late on a Friday night or something.

01:56:03 - 01:56:08 | Speaker 2:

I swear, it would be so much better. Trust me. We did our work. We got photos.

01:56:09 - 01:56:15 | Speaker 3:

The funny thing was, I almost started calling you Lucy and you Josiah. I'm like, Lucy and Josiah, you guys.

01:56:15 - 01:56:19 | Speaker 2:

Josiah, he would have got you to leave. Oh, God. He would have did it.

01:56:19 - 01:56:40 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I got to tell you guys a story, speaking of that. Okay. So yesterday, Chelsea and I are just hanging out. We're getting ready to go to dinner. We went out to dinner with our friends, with Will and Jessica and Alan and Heather. And we're getting ready to go to dinner, and Joe calls. I've told this story before about how Joe calls Chelsea, like, three times a day.

01:56:40 - 01:56:40 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:56:41 - 01:56:53 | Speaker 3:

And the kid literally is still in her freaking vagina, you know? Or actually, he's way up past that. And he, and I don't know, you probably are going to have that relationship with Smith. He'll probably be the same way.

01:56:53 - 01:56:58 | Speaker 1:

I mean, he sends me an audio message from his Apple Watch three or four times a day. All the time. Yeah.

01:56:58 - 01:57:08 | Speaker 3:

Okay. So Joe calls up and he's like, hi, mommy. And where, when she picks up the phone and I'm like, the kid says mommy.

01:57:08 - 01:57:09 | Speaker 2:

Hi, mommy.

01:57:09 - 01:57:31 | Speaker 3:

And as I'm listening to this, I'm going, okay, there's one thing about you loving your mom. And I love that he loves his mom. And they have a very special relationship. She does with all three of the boys. But to call him mommy. Mommy like it. You can't do that, Joe. He's going to be, he's 29 years old, I think, or something. He's going to be 29. He's, the kid can't.

01:57:31 - 01:57:32 | Speaker 1:

He's getting married.

01:57:33 - 01:57:45 | Speaker 3:

He's going to get married. You cannot do that. And I think Alyssa was in the car with him. Like, I think literally she might have been in the car at the time. But he was like, hey, mommy. And then they're sitting there talking. I'm like, mommy, mommy. And I'm like in the background.

01:57:45 - 01:57:50 | Speaker 1:

No, I do think that that's really weird. Mm-mm. Nope. We love you. We love you back.

01:57:50 - 01:57:51 | Speaker 3:

Who is that, by the way?

01:57:51 - 01:57:54 | Speaker 2:

I don't know, but she's cute. Suzanne, she's the commissioner for Michigan Lottery.

01:57:54 - 01:58:01 | Speaker 3:

Oh, she's beautiful. Yeah, she really is. Well, I don't know. To me, it's like, it's...

01:58:01 - 01:58:27 | Speaker 2:

I feel like it's actually a young age. Does Josiah call you daddy? No, he'd be like papa sometimes. Does he really? Does that make you feel weird? He'd be funny, like, papa. Papa, can you hear me? We being funny, like, to say that. But I don't know. I feel like I remember there was a certain point where I used to always say mama. And I was, like, well into my 20s.

01:58:27 - 01:58:32 | Speaker 1:

So I will say that to my mom sometimes, mama. But she's just mom.

01:58:32 - 01:58:32 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:58:32 - 01:58:38 | Speaker 1:

I don't think since I was very, very little, I cannot even remember the days when I called her mommy.

01:58:38 - 01:58:49 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. But I changed it, though, because I heard my younger sister call her mom. And when I heard her say mom, it made me feel like I was being very immature about still calling her mama. And I switched it, and now I just call her mom.

01:58:49 - 01:59:07 | Speaker 1:

You know, it's so funny that we're talking about this because yesterday, so my kids are with their dad this week. And I texted Lucy, and I said, I hope you have the best day at school. Mommy loves you so much. And I'm like, she's going to be 11 next week. I actually feel a little funky saying mommy. It just, like, it's almost like she's too old for me to refer to myself as that.

01:59:07 - 01:59:33 | Speaker 3:

Okay. So, all right. So this is the thing, then. We're going to do a topic here right now. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. I want to talk to grown-ass adults who still call your parents mommy and daddy. I want to know if you do that. Am I wrong in saying that it's an ethnic thing, too? Do you call your, Bianca, your Chaldean, do you call your parents that mommy or daddy?

01:59:34 - 01:59:44 | Speaker 2:

No, I call them mom and dad. But Chaldeans say, like, baba. Yeah. But I don't really do that. What's baba? I say dad. What up, doe? That's what I say. What up, bro? I call my dad bro I actually say bro To my parents

01:59:44 - 01:59:47 | Speaker 1:

But baba wouldn't be weird to me What is baba?

01:59:47 - 01:59:50 | Speaker 2:

It just means like dad In Arabic Or like my mom

01:59:50 - 01:59:51 | Speaker 1:

Will call like my dad's dad

01:59:51 - 01:59:53 | Speaker 2:

Bob Like kind of short From baba a little bit

01:59:53 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 3:

Okay alright I want to be called baba From now on I'm going to make my kids Call me baba

02:00:00 - 02:00:02 | Speaker 6:

What's up, Sean? How you doing?

02:00:03 - 02:00:13 | Speaker 5:

All right. I was calling because I have six children. I have three girls and three boys, and my oldest son is 38, and all six of them call me mommy.

02:00:13 - 02:00:14 | Speaker 6:

Okay.

02:00:15 - 02:00:23 | Speaker 5:

You don't mind that? No, it doesn't bother me. Like when my son talking to his siblings, he's like, mommy said do such and such and such.

02:00:23 - 02:00:25 | Speaker 6:

All right, something's wrong. Come on. Really?

02:00:26 - 02:00:39 | Speaker 5:

38? Yes, I have a 38. Listen, 38, 36, 30, 28, 21, and a 12-year-old. Oh, my goodness. A 12-year-old?

02:00:39 - 02:00:40 | Speaker 6:

Wait a second.

02:00:40 - 02:00:41 | Speaker 5:

Stella got her groove back.

02:00:41 - 02:00:45 | Speaker 6:

Did you adopt that, baby, or who was it? What is going on?

02:00:45 - 02:00:51 | Speaker 5:

Okay, the 12-year-old, she was like, oh, my God, I can't believe I'm bringing it. Oh, wow.

02:00:51 - 02:01:10 | Speaker 6:

That kid's going to be calling you grandma, for God's sakes. What is that? See, good eggs don't crack. Wow. Unbelievable. All right. Well, you know what, though? It's funny. You sound like Chelsea when Chelsea was defending Joe because she's, like, thinking how great it is that he's calling her that. Like, you know.

02:01:11 - 02:01:14 | Speaker 5:

It's fine with me. I don't think anything's wrong.

02:01:14 - 02:01:18 | Speaker 6:

I can't doubt moms. You guys gave birth to them. What's up, Megan? How you doing?

02:01:19 - 02:01:21 | Speaker 3:

I'm good. How are you guys?

02:01:21 - 02:01:22 | Speaker 6:

We're doing okay. What's going on?

02:01:23 - 02:01:31 | Speaker 3:

My husband still calls his mom Mama or Mommy. Like, on Christmas presents, writes it.

02:01:32 - 02:01:33 | Speaker 6:

And you think that's crazy, don't you?

02:01:33 - 02:01:52 | Speaker 3:

Again, for some reason to me, the mama is different. The first time I realized it, yeah. Like, the first time I realized it on Christmas presents, I'm like, is this real? Yeah. But now I just, like, kind of look the other way. I'm like, okay. I mean, you do you. But I don't think I could ever call my mom mommy. I don't think I ever called her mommy.

02:01:52 - 02:02:00 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. By the way, as the wife, I can only imagine that that would make you feel weird to hear him say that. What's up? Hi, Vera.

02:02:01 - 02:02:02 | Speaker 2:

Hi.

02:02:03 - 02:02:05 | Speaker 6:

What's going on? Hello? Hi.

02:02:06 - 02:02:31 | Speaker 2:

So, okay, so not first time, but I always forget to say it. So first time, very, very, very freaking long time. Hey. Vera's on the phone. And I love you guys so much, man. We love you. So I'm 45, and I don't know why, but I still call my mom mommy. I am Arabic, but usually we call them mama, but I don't know. Mommy just kind of sucks.

02:02:32 - 02:02:38 | Speaker 6:

It's okay if you're a girl doing it, though. And I know that that's a double standard, but I feel like it's fine if a girl does it.

02:02:38 - 02:02:39 | Speaker 1:

It's a little more sensible.

02:02:39 - 02:02:43 | Speaker 6:

But if you called your dad daddy, that would be weird. I would have a weird one with that one.

02:02:44 - 02:02:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't like that. Guys are ruining that for us.

02:02:47 - 02:02:49 | Speaker 6:

Especially if you're hanging out at Market in Birmingham.

02:02:50 - 02:02:51 | Speaker 5:

You got to be careful.

02:02:51 - 02:02:52 | Speaker 6:

Annabella, what's up, Annabella?

02:02:52 - 02:03:12 | Speaker 4:

hey i'm 27 i still call both my parents mommy and daddy especially when i was delivering my kids my third one i screamed out mommy my husband thinks it's weird but that's who they are that's who they've always been you know what

02:03:12 - 02:03:29 | Speaker 6:

i can't doubt you then i i guess it was just my son and it's joe and i like to find negatives and stuff but um hold on a second daisy is calling from tennessee you guys call you guys call all people weird things down in tennessee don't you daisy uh no we don't i i still use mama and

02:03:29 - 02:03:50 | Speaker 1:

daddy and i'm 60 years old i can't help it you're 60 years old no see it's also acceptable with a very southern accent although if it's your daddy you say yeah hey daddy hi daddy daddy what's up daddy can i give you a better one yes i'll give you a better one my grandchildren call me granny and I live with my mother, and they call her Other Granny.

02:03:50 - 02:03:57 | Speaker 6:

Oh, that's wild. God, I love that you listen to us. Thank you for checking us out. We appreciate that on the iHeartRadio app. Drinking some sweet tea.

02:03:57 - 02:03:58 | Speaker 1:

All right.

02:03:58 - 02:04:17 | Speaker 6:

We appreciate you so much. All right. I'll stop being so mean. We're going to give you a chance to win Tate McCray tickets, sold-out shows in August. They sold out in, like, seconds. Text Tate to 95500 for a shot to win. Standard text and data rates to apply. Text TATE to 95500.

02:04:18 - 02:04:20 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:04:20 - 02:04:41 | Speaker 6:

Shannon, while we start off the dirty this morning, we have a very special guest here with us this morning. This man is the Senior Vice President of Business Operations for the Detroit Tigers. His name is Bobby Hoekstra. Yeah! And Bobby, if you can get us heaters, we'll... Look at you, man. Are you a former player, or what's the story?

02:04:41 - 02:04:46 | Speaker 4:

I wish. I keep telling them I'm ready, but they haven't put me on the field yet.

02:04:46 - 02:04:50 | Speaker 6:

Will you play on my JCC Men's League team, for gosh sakes? We need a center. What's happening?

02:04:51 - 02:04:52 | Speaker 4:

If you've got a spot, let's do it.

02:04:52 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 6:

So tell us, how excited are you for the opening day game today, but also just the start of the season? Thrilled.

02:05:00 - 02:05:12 | Speaker 2:

This is a huge milestone for us every year and something we're working towards all offseason. So when you're in the winter, everything's dark and cold. We finally made it. It's summer. It's baseball. Tigers are back. So it's a great day in Detroit.

02:05:13 - 02:05:21 | Speaker 3:

What does a job like yours entail? Are you dealing with all the fans in the stands, dealing with the players and contracts? What do you do? What's your job?

02:05:22 - 02:05:35 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's anything and everything. So I oversee our finance side, too. But that's every dollar in and out. we're analyzing but then just business strategy we want to you know bring in as much money as we can on the business side and then we're going to go spend that all on our baseball team and make

02:05:35 - 02:05:55 | Speaker 3:

sure we're making smart decisions about how to do that all right all right i like this uh and you got a lot of players that are literally up up and coming they're on first year or first contracts and stuff like that so you got your work cut out for you especially after the way that that team came on at the end of the last season too absolutely it's um you know it's getting exciting

02:05:55 - 02:06:12 | Speaker 2:

on the field obviously we have our young core and so many guys that we're excited about that are going to be here for a long time um and then we're also going to work supplementing that so you know as you can see whether it's with Flaherty Cobb Taurus all these guys like we spent some money this offseason um we're going to keep doing that um we just gotta we just gotta keep finding

02:06:12 - 02:06:52 | Speaker 3:

it and we'll go we'll go find something to spend it on it's interesting i you know i follow baseball a lot kevin i don't know kev's a huge nba guy so he follows nba a lot and also uh a lot i know a lot of our listeners are fantasy people too but it's wild because I really there was a couple of free agents I thought we were going to get and then I started reading some of the stories about like Bregman and stuff where we were they said they said we were very close to getting him sometimes I feel like the ones you miss out on are actually good for you that you miss out on them and then the ones that you end up getting like the Flaherty one getting him back the fact that you guys were able to trade him get a bunch of you know good prospects and then bring him back He obviously likes it here enough to be able to re-sign with you guys.

02:06:52 - 02:07:17 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean, that one worked out about as good as any deadline trade can. You know, we got awesome players. We love Sweeney and Lorenzo. Jack gets to go win a World Series and then come back home to us. So that one's great. And then, you know, even just the offseason, you never know what's going to happen, what deals are going to come to fruition or not. That's what makes our jobs stressful but also very fun because you literally don't know what's going to be available, and you've got to be agile and quick when you see the right opportunities. All right.

02:07:17 - 02:07:30 | Speaker 1:

Real quick, 25 years. we're celebrating this year. Being the head of BO, I know that doesn't sound as sexy as business operations, but I'm a short guy. BO, give me some sneak peeks, man, some surprises

02:07:30 - 02:08:11 | Speaker 2:

that we can expect from you guys this season. Yeah, so we've got a lot on deck to help celebrate our 25th season here. We've amplified our theme weekends. We have one specifically tied to our 25th anniversary celebration, so there's going to be a lot of vintage lookbacks and things that people have loved about this park the entire time here um but you know we've got the full promotional calendar this year there's stuff to get excited about all summer whether that's our giveaways more of our theme weekends so we've got strikeout cancer weekend we have black and baseball weekend we have fiesta tigres um you know all of our different theme nights throughout on single games too so there's something for everybody there's a ton of reasons to get to camerica park this year um we're gonna have a lot of fun i want that jacket look at this

02:08:11 - 02:08:30 | Speaker 3:

I know, that looks like you. Do they have that in the team store here? Oh, yeah, these are in the store. Buddy, Bobby Hoekstra, where's your office at around here? Where are you at? Are you up in one of these offices up here? Yeah, we're over there. Hold on. Where's Chris at? Where's Mr. Illich at? Is he right around here?

02:08:31 - 02:08:35 | Speaker 2:

He's got a suite up there. All right. He'll be at the park today. I love it.

02:08:35 - 02:08:58 | Speaker 3:

I don't know if he's here yet. Tell him that Mojo and Shannon and Kevin said thank you for having us out. We really appreciate it, buddy. Thank you. Absolutely. Love to have you guys here. I love it. Love this team. I love the Tigers. I'm going to tell you this. I mean, obviously, look at what we got right here, okay? We just saw that their season gave us so much excitement. This team gave us so much excitement going into the football season. It's cool to see winning going on in Detroit again. It's a great sports town.

02:08:59 - 02:09:19 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. Obviously, we love everyone coming alive for what we're doing. Our two playoff games last year with 45,000 people here. We'll have 45,000 again today. It's awesome to see the city come alive, and not just for us, you know, seeing the wings are on an upward trajectory, but also what the Pistons and Lions have been doing. Amazing time to be in Detroit as a sports fan.

02:09:19 - 02:09:23 | Speaker 3:

And great job with Jason Benetti last year, too. I love him. That was a great move.

02:09:24 - 02:09:32 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, he's been so awesome for our broadcast, and I could listen to him talk all day. He's funny. The references, the stories, like he is a sharp guy.

02:09:32 - 02:09:35 | Speaker 1:

And also just as a human being, a really great guy.

02:09:36 - 02:09:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, he came on with us and has been good to us. So I appreciate you so much. Come on again with us.

02:09:41 - 02:09:45 | Speaker 2:

Hey, I'm here when you need me. Basketball, radio, whatever you need. Let's get it.

02:09:46 - 02:09:48 | Speaker 3:

I'm a double X. I'll talk to you in a second.

02:09:50 - 02:09:52 | Speaker 2:

Jackets, too. We'll work on that. All right. Thanks, Bob.

02:09:52 - 02:09:55 | Speaker 3:

I appreciate you so much, man. Shannon, what's up in the dirty?

02:09:55 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, look, she showed up as it's 30 degrees warmer than it was an hour ago. You want to know?

02:10:00 - 02:10:04 | Speaker 5:

what players to sign this guy right here this is our boss tony travato here i heard that it was

02:10:04 - 02:10:10 | Speaker 1:

sunny so i wanted to come out yeah this is great now that's great now all right let's get into the

02:10:10 - 02:10:37 | Speaker 3:

dirty this michigan couple that's been in a mexican prison for the past month over a timeshare dispute finally yesterday came back home to michigan christy and paula keo had been behind bars in a maximum security prison in cancun after being accused of defrauding palace resorts out of more than $116,000. So yesterday, they were on a private jet with Michigan Representative Tom Barrett coming home.

02:10:37 - 02:10:55 | Speaker 2:

Mr. President, it's Tom Barrett, and I'm here with Paul and Christy Achao. We are on our way back to the United States. Thank you so much for your help, your investment in this cause, and your team and everything you did to help them get loose and get free and come back to America. We wanted to thank you so much for all your help.

02:10:55 - 02:10:59 | Speaker 1:

Thank you so much, President Trump. We appreciate it more than you even know.

02:10:59 - 02:11:37 | Speaker 3:

By the way, the reason that they're profusely thanking President Trump is because just about a week ago, the president got word of this, reached out to his hostage team to resolve this immediately. Some drama is unfolding in the Beckham family, as in David and Victoria Beckham. Two of the boys are not speaking to each other, and this all has to do with a woman. Brooklyn and Romeo Beckham are not on speaking terms at the moment, and a woman named Kim Turnbull is at the center of this. So Kim hooked up with Brooklyn several years ago. He's now married to Nicola Peltz, but his brother Romeo is now hooking up with Kim.

02:11:38 - 02:11:39 | Speaker 5:

Right. You know what they need?

02:11:39 - 02:11:42 | Speaker 3:

So they shared a woman. All in the family.

02:11:42 - 02:11:49 | Speaker 5:

What they need to keep them together is what Bruce Willis and Demi Moore's kids do. They need to bathe together.

02:11:50 - 02:11:52 | Speaker 3:

Okay. You said to that? Okay.

02:11:53 - 02:11:56 | Speaker 5:

They need to all. That's how they keep a family together when you're dating the same person.

02:11:57 - 02:13:10 | Speaker 3:

Well, here's the thing. This has now gotten to the point where Brooklyn and Romeo will not even be in the same place at the same time if Kim is there. So, Brooklyn and his wife, absent from David's big 50th birthday party because Romeo and Kim were there. Brooklyn and Nicola skipped Victoria Beckham's fashion show last month because Kim was there. So, this is not good. How good is the loving? Sheesh. Yeah. And lastly, lower back. Bended like Beckham. Lower back tattoos, also known as tramp stamps, are becoming popular again, you guys. Tattoo artists are saying they've seen upticks in requests for tramp stamps. And it's a lot of younger people who want these. And it's females specifically wanting to reclaim negative stereotypes, which were once used to kind of, you know, like trash them. Because everybody thought that a tramp stamp was trashy. Well, no longer. The tramp stamp is now a form of empowerment. And a lot of people are realizing that the lower back is the perfect spot for a decorative piece of body art. So it's coming back. I like that. Getting a second life. You know what?

02:13:10 - 02:13:54 | Speaker 5:

No, go ahead. No, I was going to say, I will never forget the contest we did for Kid Rock tickets when we did a gramp stamp. And we had a grandma and grandpa. Stop. Yeah, it was a great contest. You want the top five songs in the country? I do. Let's go. Top five songs. Number. Come on, Drake. Number five in the country. Your favorite. Pink Pony Club. Shopple Room. Yeah, you love this. Yes. This is your walk-up song, right? Pink Pony Club. Yes, this is going to be my song today. If a player did it, I bet he would get a lot of girls going crazy. Coming in at number four. Morgan Wallen. Just in case. number four song in the country right now on the Billboard Hot 100

02:13:54 - 02:13:56 | Speaker 4:

charts. Let me hear

02:13:56 - 02:13:59 | Speaker 5:

that. Zach, crank that up. I want to hear that song. Over the helicopter.

02:14:02 - 02:14:19 | Speaker 4:

Huh. Is this a song that you perform this on SNL? Yeah. What do you think? No? It's not for me. No.

02:14:20 - 02:14:22 | Speaker 3:

I like every Morgan Mullen song.

02:14:22 - 02:14:22 | Speaker 5:

Yeah?

02:14:23 - 02:14:25 | Speaker 4:

But, I mean, a summer night, maybe on a boat, a little drinking.

02:14:25 - 02:14:27 | Speaker 3:

This one's a little slow, but...

02:14:27 - 02:14:31 | Speaker 5:

Number three song in the country. It's still on the charts. Good Lord. Shaboozy.

02:14:32 - 02:14:37 | Speaker 3:

This is already playing at some tailgate somewhere around Kilmerka Park right now.

02:14:37 - 02:14:55 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Tipsy. Number two song in the country. Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars. So far, no Drake. No Kendrick. No Kendrick. That's surprising. All right. Die with a smile.

02:15:00 - 02:15:08 | Speaker 3:

By the way, you notice that Tony Travato comes out when it's warmer, and he thinks that all the complaining we did all day was a bunch of bull crap.

02:15:08 - 02:15:10 | Speaker 2:

I'm fine now. Aren't you? Actually, this is nice. No, this is nice.

02:15:10 - 02:15:20 | Speaker 3:

If it was like this at 5 o'clock this morning, we'd all be good. You got some players out here stretching now, too. Eww. And the number one song right now in the country.

02:15:24 - 02:15:39 | Speaker 1:

Andre, SZA, Luther. It's all you, Shannon. We're done.

I said, hey, anybody got a baseball topic? Shannon's got one here. It's 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. We're opening day at the Tigers. All right, let me.

02:16:21 - 02:16:22 | Speaker 2:

It's kind of.

02:16:22 - 02:16:22 | Speaker 3:

Let me hear.

02:16:22 - 02:16:48 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so Wes and I were randomly talking about this last night. And I don't even know how it came up. But we were talking about when you're in a relationship, how you define first base, second base, third base. Obviously, home run is bacon cookies, right? Okay. And he and I defined it differently. And so I want to know what you guys, how you define it. So for me, first base is kissing.

02:16:49 - 02:16:49 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:16:49 - 02:17:08 | Speaker 2:

Second base is up the shirt, down the pants, touching. Okay? Third base is like, where's our boss? Oral. Oh, all right. Or like other things down the pants. So that's a triple. And then, yeah, that's a triple. And then home run is obviously the full-blown thing.

02:17:08 - 02:17:18 | Speaker 3:

The full-blown thing. The full. Okay. Okay. No, that would be, the full-blown thing would be third base. What? Nobody got it. I didn't get it. You're talking about oral.

02:17:18 - 02:17:26 | Speaker 4:

That's what she said. Oh, I'm joking. Hey, that was good. That was good. Very spicy.

02:17:27 - 02:17:27 | Speaker 3:

That was bad.

02:17:27 - 02:17:28 | Speaker 4:

You slipped that one faster.

02:17:28 - 02:17:31 | Speaker 3:

That was a dad joke. Hasn't your dad ever tell you oral sex jokes?

02:17:32 - 02:17:33 | Speaker 4:

It's good. It was a good one.

02:17:33 - 02:17:42 | Speaker 2:

But do you agree on that? Because Wes was like, I think it should be, first base to me was like a peck. Yeah. Then second base was like French kissing. I'm like, oh, wait. See, I'm with you. You took it slow.

02:17:42 - 02:17:58 | Speaker 4:

My thing is, first base is kissing. Second base is kissing, but my hands are all over and touching stuff. Third base is, I guess you could say the full-blown. And then fourth base, I agree with you. But I mean, there are inside the park home runs.

02:17:59 - 02:18:10 | Speaker 3:

See, I think the dirty-minded guy that I get to be called after is the one that has the most innocent. I think holding hands.

02:18:10 - 02:18:14 | Speaker 4:

What? No. That's T-ball.

02:18:14 - 02:18:43 | Speaker 3:

Holding hands is first base. I think that Kissing and like feeling up Is second base I think Humping is third No, I think that No, no Humping is probably also a double Third base is You're actually getting You guys are performing something Either a handy Or you're doing The oral or whatever things And then home run Is your Yeah, alright Your penetration

02:18:43 - 02:18:45 | Speaker 4:

No, no, home run has to be love

02:18:45 - 02:18:48 | Speaker 3:

Home run is love

02:18:48 - 02:18:50 | Speaker 4:

Third base is smashing

02:18:50 - 02:19:21 | Speaker 3:

I don't know I'm surprised that hand holding Because I used to say You got to first base When I was a kid And you only used those things When you were young Right This is the craziest thing ever Let me I'll just move this table Well let's just get up We'll stand up during the show And do it We're doing a break And the grounds crew Needs to move the wheelbarrow To this area over here So hold on Oh god Let me We'll get up Hold on We're all plugged in Hang on Hang on I'm sandal Hang on Listen, you guys already sprayed us with your hose for God's sakes. You did. You might as well. Hold to hands is weak, bro. Yeah.

02:19:22 - 02:19:27 | Speaker 2:

I know. That's the security over there. Got to third base with the grounds crew. We were... All right. I can't say that.

02:19:30 - 02:19:42 | Speaker 3:

844-MOJO. Where are you taking that thing to? Why would you put that in the stands anyway? Oh, you're putting it in here. All right. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I kind of like this as a survey and ask the question, but I want to do this now.

02:19:42 - 02:19:45 | Speaker 2:

And how old were you when you got to those bases? Yeah.

02:19:46 - 02:19:51 | Speaker 3:

Do you remember? Because this is the weird part, Shannon, and this is going to be so weird for you because your kids are still young.

02:19:51 - 02:19:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:19:52 - 02:19:54 | Speaker 3:

But they're not far off. Like, middle school.

02:19:54 - 02:19:54 | Speaker 2:

No.

02:19:55 - 02:19:56 | Speaker 3:

Can I be honest with you?

02:19:56 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 2:

No, I know. I'm just saying, oh, God, no. I coached.

02:20:00 - 02:20:26 | Speaker 4:

I coached basketball, middle school basketball, and I will never forget coaching Abbott Middle School, Abbott Elementary. Yes, sir. RIP Abbott Middle School, West Bloomfield. And I remember being told by some of the players that kids were underneath the stands or something like that. I'm like, I volunteer my services. I ain't counseling these kids. Go get, you know, Mrs. Hughes. She's going to principal.

02:20:26 - 02:20:43 | Speaker 2:

You want to know what's crazy for me is, unfortunately, And unfortunately, I guess, mine all happened within the span of a year. Oh, really? It was, like, very quickly. Like, I know some people have their first kiss when they're in seventh grade or whatever. I mean, mine wasn't until I got into high school.

02:20:43 - 02:20:44 | Speaker 4:

It was? So it was officially high school?

02:20:44 - 02:20:46 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah, so.

02:20:46 - 02:20:48 | Speaker 3:

I mean, hide and go get it used to be a game.

02:20:49 - 02:20:50 | Speaker 2:

What's that? During recess.

02:20:50 - 02:20:53 | Speaker 3:

That's when you were hide and, like, touch each other's privates.

02:20:53 - 02:20:55 | Speaker 2:

At recess? At school?

02:20:55 - 02:21:05 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Remember they used to have like the slides, but they would have like the tunnel slide where it was like enclosed. Yeah. You get her in the enclosed slide, it was over. How old are you?

02:21:06 - 02:21:09 | Speaker 2:

Middle school. Oh, my God. Lucy's never allowed to go in a slide.

02:21:10 - 02:21:15 | Speaker 4:

Didn't you say one time on the air that maybe it was sixth grade, but I thought it was younger than that.

02:21:15 - 02:21:17 | Speaker 3:

Do you want us to come back? If you want.

02:21:17 - 02:21:28 | Speaker 4:

Oh. Oh, okay. No, that's good. We're good. We're flexible, right? I love it. Thank you.

02:21:28 - 02:21:30 | Speaker 2:

I've been married for 40.

02:21:30 - 02:21:51 | Speaker 4:

You've been married for 40? Hey, let me ask you a question. Oh, God. We're talking about the bases here, like getting the first. Shannon thinks, Shannon says, obviously, a home run is, you know, touching home plate, having sex. When you were younger, did you think that actually full-on kissing was first base or second base?

02:21:51 - 02:21:54 | Speaker 2:

Kissing? Kissing. First base, second base.

02:21:55 - 02:21:56 | Speaker 5:

I don't want to kiss no bass.

02:21:56 - 02:21:57 | Speaker 2:

You never kiss a bass.

02:21:57 - 02:22:07 | Speaker 4:

No, he's not going to kiss a bass. Hold on. That's one of the grounds crew guys here. What's up, Laurie? Hi, it's Mojo in the morning. What's going on?

02:22:07 - 02:22:08 | Speaker 3:

Sniffing too much grass.

02:22:09 - 02:22:10 | Speaker 4:

What's going on?

02:22:12 - 02:22:26 | Speaker 1:

I got a free engagement ring. My dad asked me, so what does that mean? He gets the first brace, second brace. What does that mean? I didn't know what all that meant. But he said, I'm going to tell you one thing. And just remember, a stiff dick has no conscience.

02:22:28 - 02:22:30 | Speaker 4:

That is true, right?

02:22:31 - 02:22:35 | Speaker 1:

That's true. That's true. Hey, have a fun day today, guys. Thanks, Lori.

02:22:35 - 02:22:38 | Speaker 4:

We love you. Take care of yourself. Appreciate it.

02:22:40 - 02:22:41 | Speaker 3:

That was crazy.

02:22:42 - 02:23:04 | Speaker 4:

Everybody's texting in at 95500. Drive into the game right now. The traffic is horrible, and I am dying laughing at this conversation right now. I love that. Thank you. That's 248-586-586 says Mojo's right. Going to first base is just holding hands.

02:23:04 - 02:23:12 | Speaker 2:

Not holding hands, bro. Dude, you know what? That's like buying tickets to me. That's where that is. What are we doing? This is after that.

02:23:13 - 02:23:24 | Speaker 4:

You guys didn't ever go to a movie with a girl, and you got to sit next to a guy, and you sit next to them, and you held their hand, and you thought that that was, like, oh, my God, that was, like, intimacy?

02:23:24 - 02:23:27 | Speaker 2:

Holding hands is very intimate. No, I feel that. I feel that. It is. I feel that.

02:23:28 - 02:23:33 | Speaker 4:

I'll never forget going to the Plint Cinemas. Okay. Okay.

02:23:33 - 02:23:48 | Speaker 3:

The Plint and Home Park Cinemas. Bro, Fairlane? Yeah. At Fairlane Star Theater. Oh, Star Theater there. Bro, they used to have an armrest that go up. When they had the armrest that goes up, it's over. It's over. It's like a couch. You can put some oil up.

02:23:48 - 02:23:50 | Speaker 4:

You can do the popcorn trick with it.

02:23:50 - 02:23:53 | Speaker 3:

And when I seen that, oh, man, it was over.

02:23:53 - 02:23:54 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Jacob? Hi.

02:23:56 - 02:23:58 | Speaker 5:

Hey, good morning, everybody. How's America there?

02:23:58 - 02:24:02 | Speaker 4:

Oh, it's warm. It's finally warmer. It's about 10 degrees warmer than it was when we started.

02:24:02 - 02:24:07 | Speaker 5:

Hey, I get you. I'm outside working myself today here in northwest Ohio.

02:24:07 - 02:24:10 | Speaker 4:

Hey there. What's going on?

02:24:10 - 02:24:19 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I got your joke this morning there. That was good. I don't know how Jen and Kev, everybody missed that. It went right over my head, man.

02:24:19 - 02:24:24 | Speaker 4:

Thank you on that one, too. What was it for you, buddy? What was the basis for you?

02:24:25 - 02:24:39 | Speaker 5:

Overall, the basis, Justin was definitely first base. Kind of what Shannon said, touchy-feely, up and down, all around. And I kind of, third base, a home run, I guess. Okay.

02:24:39 - 02:24:41 | Speaker 2:

Oh, so what were you doing for the home run?

02:24:41 - 02:24:47 | Speaker 5:

The home run was game. I've never, a home run for me that I've never done would be like a threesome or something.

02:24:47 - 02:24:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no. Oh, my God. Oh, yours is very different than mine.

02:24:52 - 02:24:57 | Speaker 4:

You guys in Ohio are crazy. That's why I love having a kiss here. Hey, take care of yourself. We'll talk to you, Jacob.

02:24:58 - 02:25:13 | Speaker 5:

You too, guys. Have fun. We'll see you. Lydia, any else before I move on and play? Get that sack fly. I knew. Yeah, what is, by the way, what is a sacrifice fly or a squeeze play? What are those?

02:25:13 - 02:25:18 | Speaker 4:

I mean, a squeeze play is self-explanatory. It's in the name. Hey, the sack fly might be as well.

02:25:18 - 02:25:20 | Speaker 5:

Sarah, what's up, Sarah?

02:25:21 - 02:25:29 | Speaker 2:

So I grew up thinking first base was kissing, second was touching the ta-ta's, third was sex, and then home run was an orgasm.

02:25:29 - 02:25:36 | Speaker 5:

Oh, you had to have an orgasm. I'm telling you, it's different for a lot of people. Put it on the board.

02:25:37 - 02:25:39 | Speaker 2:

Definitely T-ball, definitely T-ball.

02:25:41 - 02:25:45 | Speaker 5:

Sarah, I'm hanging up on you. Have a great one. We'll see you later.

02:25:47 - 02:26:03 | Speaker 3:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning. Hey, hey, hey, hey.

02:26:04 - 02:26:20 | Speaker 5:

Ooh, there's the helicopter, by the way. I got to tell you, you served in the military. That thing's, like, giving you fits right now. But Bianca just walked into the Tigers' dugout and just got, what did you get?

02:26:20 - 02:26:26 | Speaker 2:

Hold on. All right, listen to this. Listen to Mojo in the Morning, channel 955.

02:26:26 - 02:27:08 | Speaker 5:

Who is that? Riley Green. Riley Green. Hanging out. I like it. Kaji B. I like it. I like it. Let's do it. Let's get more. Let's go out there on the field and see if Tarek Skubal's out there. Go get a Tarek Skubal. All right. Oh, you know what it's time now for? Before we wrap up the show with Throwback Throwdown and stuff? It is time now for, on the Mojo in the Morning Show, as we're broadcasting live from Comerica Park, Lydia's Leftover. Lydia's leftovers Lydia's leftovers is something that we came up with last week on the show And for those that don't know, Lydia, say hello to everybody

02:27:08 - 02:27:15 | Speaker 1:

Hi everybody Lydia, I missed you today I didn't miss you guys, you guys can stay in the cold

02:27:15 - 02:27:19 | Speaker 5:

You did a great job, Lydia

02:27:19 - 02:27:24 | Speaker 4:

Getting us all sick Monday meeting, I already know I'm going to hear it

02:27:24 - 02:29:25 | Speaker 5:

No, it's done. It's done. It's over and done with. Lydia's Leftovers is, for those who don't know, Lydia's our executive producer of the show. She picks all the topics that we do on the show. We all turn in our diaries. We talked about that last week if you missed the podcast. And what we want to do now is go through our topics that we sent in starting on Sunday night, and then we want to all say which topic that we think Lydia should have chosen but did not, and we don't understand why Lydia didn't choose it. So that was kind of our thing, okay? And we'll go around the room and everybody, you know, tell us your topic. And so seeing that Megan was limited in her ability to be on this week because she's not feeling well, for those that are wondering about her and wondering where Megan is, Megan has a horrendous sinus infection. So she has been, and she actually has, you know, been really battling it. So it's been horrible. So, all right, Lydia's leftovers on the Mojo in the Morning show. Would one of you guys like to start, or do you want me to start with which one mine was? You start. All right, I'm going to start. This was one that I chose, and this is actually something for this weekend. We are going out to a friend's birthday this weekend, and Chelsea told me that there's kind of an interesting situation with this. The place that we're going to for dinner gave us a time limit. They told us that we could have a reservation, that we're going to be there. We have to be out, though, by 745 sharp. And I love this idea. So we can get there any time we want to before 745. Actually, I think they open up and they start serving their dinner service at like 530. But they told us 745, out the door, no questions asked because they had a reservation there afterwards for the big table. And I wanted to ask the question, what do you guys think of restaurants or places that have time limits? And shouldn't we put time limits on people having parties? Like, we should give time limits. Say, you know what? We're done. I don't want to be here until a certain time.

02:29:25 - 02:29:28 | Speaker 4:

So when did your reservation begin and when did they say you got to get out?

02:29:28 - 02:29:32 | Speaker 5:

So we're actually going to show up at 6 o'clock. So we're going to be there from 6 until 745.

02:29:32 - 02:29:35 | Speaker 4:

I mean, that's enough time. Yeah. Is y'all just...

02:29:35 - 02:29:38 | Speaker 5:

It's a group. It's like, I think, 12 people or something.

02:29:38 - 02:30:11 | Speaker 1:

See, it depends on the situation to me. Because if I'm with my girlfriends, I know that we are going to keep ordering drinks and we're going to want to stay and have a great time. But there are situations where we go out to dinner or I go out to dinner and I'm like, I wish that this could only be one hour. You know what I mean? And in that situation, I would love a time limit. I think time limits are great for family and co-workers. The hardcore besties are the ones. All right, Lydia's leftovers. Shannon, what is yours that you didn't get a chance to choose?

02:30:11 - 02:31:02 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so mine is, it's the standard wife, I guess you could say girlfriend, lie. Like those things that us ladies say that our men know, we are lying through our teeth and they know it from the start. So Wes was on his way home from work and I had to go pick up Smith from his best buddy's house. and his best buddy's mom just happens to be one of my very best friends. So I said to Wes, I'm running out to grab Smith. I will be back in 20 minutes. Knowing full well I would not be back in 20 minutes because she lives about it three minutes from me. As soon as I walk in the door, she pushes a glass of wine in my hand, and then there we are, like, just catching up about everything, and one glass of wine turns into two, and as soon as I get home with the guiltiest look on my face, I said to Wes, we all know I'm never going to be at Lindsay's for just 20 minutes, okay? You're going to be out of there. It's the standard wife lie.

02:31:02 - 02:31:24 | Speaker 1:

That's actually a good one. Guys have lies like that, too, and their lies usually, and you're going to start seeing this with Wes now that he's golfing. He's going to be a golfer. Yeah. Yeah, it's only four hours because it's not only four hours when you go golfing. Yeah. Like the golf is only four hours, but the whole hanging out and being with your buddies and stuff like that. It's like six or seven hours. Oh, it gets to be a thing. Kevin, what's your leftover?

02:31:25 - 02:31:35 | Speaker 2:

I actually thought this was a good idea to do this little Lydia's leftover thing. But now that I think about it, I don't want to do it. Why? Because I can reserve these topics. And if I do them now, then they're not going to matter.

02:31:36 - 02:31:36 | Speaker 4:

Well, just pick one.

02:31:37 - 02:32:15 | Speaker 2:

You have a lot of good ones. You come up with a million topics a week. I'm just saying. So I had one where I went over to a friend's house, and her best friend was there also. And it was her birthday. We get to drinking, having a good time. This is the first time I'm meeting my friend's friend. So I'm like, how did y'all meet? And I wanted to know, what is your crazy best friend story? Like, how did you guys meet and become best friends? These girls, I'm telling you, she took her boyfriend to Cancun or something like that. Long story short, he told some other girls he was coming to Cancun. So his girlfriend met these girls and, I guess, hit it off with one of them because she was mad that he invited all these other girls. And that's how they became best friends.

02:32:15 - 02:32:25 | Speaker 1:

Why is it that this week we have done nothing but talking about you having these girls sleep over at your house and all this stuff? Here's a nice, normal topic from you.

02:32:25 - 02:32:28 | Speaker 3:

Who gives a rat's ass about meeting friends? Lydia doesn't pick those. I don't give a rat's ass how you met your friend.

02:32:29 - 02:32:33 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Is that mic on the air or are you just talking in my headphones? Did everybody hear that?

02:32:34 - 02:32:36 | Speaker 2:

Why are you so spicy? You're in a nice studio.

02:32:36 - 02:32:37 | Speaker 3:

Why? I'm not spicy. Why?

02:32:37 - 02:32:39 | Speaker 2:

You need your eggs cracked.

02:32:40 - 02:33:05 | Speaker 1:

What is the story there? Okay, out of the topics, Lydia, because I thought, actually, I really do like Shannon's topic, because I think that Shannon's topic is relatable in the fact that with relationships, people all have their own little, I call them relationship lies, but we all have our little ones. But you chose other topics this week instead of choosing that one. Mine, the time limit one, I get it.

02:33:05 - 02:33:06 | Speaker 3:

I thought your time limit one was good, though.

02:33:06 - 02:33:10 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it was okay. It was mediocre. Kev's topics always blow.

02:33:10 - 02:33:20 | Speaker 3:

I was just not feeling it. It felt too AC for me.

02:33:20 - 02:33:21 | Speaker 1:

It was too AC.

02:33:21 - 02:33:30 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Like if it's an edgy, how did you meet your friend? Like you walked in on a three way, but that's fine. But I don't really care if you met your friend in Cancun.

02:33:30 - 02:33:32 | Speaker 2:

You're missing the point of it all.

02:33:32 - 02:33:45 | Speaker 1:

By the way, I have to tell you that the hit it and quit it, the calls, I was a little worried. they were all going to be kind of boring because the first couple we took were kind of like, eh, okay, whatever. They just sounded like they just tried to win the tickets.

02:33:46 - 02:33:46 | Speaker 4:

Dude.

02:33:46 - 02:33:55 | Speaker 1:

That turned out to be a great podcast to go listen to. Oh, Joe. What's up? I forgot to text you back yesterday. You text me and I left you on set.

02:33:56 - 02:33:59 | Speaker 4:

That's actually a great topic. You don't reply to somebody's text and then you see them.

02:33:59 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 1:
