We'll be right back.

00:03:49 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 4:

Good morning and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. Good to have you guys here with us. Getting ready to experience some crazy weather. Understand that the storms that are coming through, a possible tornado warning could be happening later today. So keep alert about what's going on. As we're now being affected with what it seems like most of the country is being affected. it. It's not just like the mid portion of the country. I mean, I feel bad for anybody that lives like in Oklahoma or Tennessee or Kansas. They always get affected by this, but I saw that there were some like tornado like winds in downtown Chicago that were blowing some stuff off of construction buildings that were going on high rises that were, uh, that were up. So we're going to be faced with a little bit of that through, uh, most of our listening area today. Temperature is actually going to be nice. I'm looking at the forecast right now, and it's going to still get wet, but wow, it's going to be warm.

00:04:55 - 00:04:57 | Speaker 1:

We could get to like 75 degrees today.

00:04:57 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 6:

It was hot going out to my car. It was weird.

00:05:00 - 00:05:10 | Speaker 3:

weird yeah there was and there's also like a smell in the air uh our producer kp was talking about how it reminded her when she lived in traverse city and there yeah there was like the

00:05:10 - 00:05:17 | Speaker 2:

uh the smell off the water right oh it was so nice so nice and i that's i didn't experience

00:05:17 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 3:

that smell here i for some reason no i still smell the normal like our garbage uh thing that We have out in the back the big old dumpster that's there.

00:05:28 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 2:

It sounds like a personal issue.

00:05:30 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 3:

That big old dumpster has been here since we've been here. And that big old dumpster smells so bad. And when the wind blows, you can smell that. That and skunk smell.

00:05:39 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 1:

I was going to say, and our friendly skunk that lives in the bushes. Yeah. And then in the afternoon. That still makes me run from my car to the door, by the way, every morning.

00:05:47 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 3:

And then in the afternoon, that skunk spell is Dr. Darius from JLB. That's weed.

00:05:54 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 2:

I thought you were talking about your house. I'm sorry. No, no, no. You realize you're talking about the studio? Oh, no.

00:05:58 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 3:

My house smelled wonderful. No, I didn't. I'll be honest with you. I felt what Megan felt where I'm like, wow, it's kind of warm. You know, it kind of felt warm for this early in the morning. 55 degrees right now, it says, on the TV station that I have here in the studio's little corner.

00:06:15 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 2:

Well, when you leave the house, I feel like because we're Midwesterners, you leave with your shoulders hunched, you're just ready to brace for it. And I remember, like, walking out of my front door this morning and going, well, that's different.

00:06:28 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Well, we're only going to have it for a day because I think tomorrow then it cools down. That's why that storm's coming through. So, all right. It is Mojo in the Morning Show. Mojo, Shannon, Megan, Mike, KP, Lydia. Good to have you guys here with us. Shannon, I did not know this. But first off, I just wanted to say this before you get into the story. What? I had no idea whose car it was that messed with my feng shui on Monday, I think it was. Monday. Yeah. Pulling into the station. There was the car that wasn't supposed to be there because somebody left their car here. And I was like cussing out your fiance's car, not knowing it was his car. Now I feel bad. I'm going to take it back. I thought it was like a salesperson that just left their car here at the station. Because usually we all park in different ways. I don't know if you notice this.

00:07:19 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 1:

We don't park in different ways. We all park in exactly the same way.

00:07:22 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 3:

Do you notice that I always leave a spot open for you? Because I always leave a spot there in between me and usually Lydia and KP. Why does it bug you there was an extra car here? Or that somebody left their car here?

00:07:34 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 1:

Exactly what he said. It throws off his feng shui.

00:07:36 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 3:

Wes ruined the feng shui, Mike. We had to park. It was the furthest I've parked in this building in a long time. I felt like I was walking from 12 Oaks Mall to get here.

00:07:46 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 1:

So Wes left his car here, Mike, because he helped me surprise the kids on Friday. And so he he hopped into my car to go to the airport. So he ended up leaving his car here and he was actually going away for the weekend as well. He went down to Florida just to get some sunshine and work and kind of reset a little bit. And he didn't come home until Monday, really, really late, like 1030, 11 o'clock is when his flight landed. So that's what Mojo is talking about. his car was still here on monday morning okay i see yeah and in fact he had said to me i'm kind of in trouble over this at the moment because he ended up like in all of the craziness of friday he lost the key to his car and couldn't figure out where it was and yes megan thank you because you helped me so much when jay mckeon i think it was from our sales department sent a a station wide email saying you know somebody left their key in the parking lot whose key is this with a photo and i was like oh thank god that's wess's key so actually one of our sales people found it

00:08:50 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 2:

yeah but who was the person who identified it you megan ohio yes no thank you that's wess's key

00:08:56 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 3:

how amazing is it a that megan could identify that it was wess's key and b megan checks the

00:09:03 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

I heard that was most surprising to be honest and to be fair wasn't my brother drive the same car so I had texted Wes and I was like oh my gosh somebody found your key and he said okay you know I I need to get it obviously I'm gonna uber home from the airport I would have gone to pick him up but again he didn't land till like 11 o'clock I no offense I'm not going to the airport that late when we have to wake up at 3 30 in the morning I may love you to marry you but I will not love you to pick you up at that time so he's like i'm gonna uber from the airport can you please hide my key somewhere outside of the radio station like put it in a ziploc baggie or something and tell me where it is so that i can just grab it and go home and go to bed no problem so monday after the show lydia gives me the key somebody had been keeping it in their office for me i get the key i totally forgot to bring a ziploc bag but i rummaged around in my purse and i found like you know those cute

00:10:00 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 2:

little mini shopping bags that gift cards come in sometime yeah i'm talking about i had one of those so i thought perfect i'm gonna throw the key in that i wedged it deep into the bushes out by the side door of the radio station and i told wes where it was you showed him the exact bush like showed him i was like it is literally right in front of your car okay okay well it thunderstormed all day on Monday, which I don't think was part of the forecast. And so unbeknownst to me, this caused a huge issue because Wes, first of all, couldn't get an Uber when he landed at the airport. Took him 40 minutes to finally get an Uber that wouldn't cancel on him that late at night. Got an Uber. The Uber got lost on his way to the radio station. They finally get here and Wes goes to look for the key. Well, it takes him a second to find the bag because we have so much crap in those bushes anyway he was sorting through like target plastic bags that had blown in there and whatever you know like he wasn't aware of what kind of bag it was he finds my little gift card bag and he's like it was just soaking wet and there was a hole in the bottom oh no and so what had happened then he had the uber driver hold up his iphone flashlight and they're both digging through the mud and mulch in bushes looking for this stupid key oh my god they finally found it and he's like you are never ever again trusted to do a favor for me like this work after it got wet thank god it worked yeah i'm always amazed at how people will leave keys

00:11:31 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 4:

like they'll have like hiding spots for keys or they'll leave a leave a key places yeah and i'm always amazed that they'll do that with their car keys that have key fobs with them so the key fob on a on a thing it's got got got electronic stuff inside of it right right which his is yeah so i so the by the way you thought that the gift card holder was enough protection yeah you thought that was enough protection it was a bag but it was a what but was it a paper or a or a plastic bag

00:12:03 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 2:

it was a very thick paper bag you guys i didn't think it was gonna rain and as soon as it started

00:12:11 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 3:

raining i was at home i'm like this might not be good do you feel bad how angry would you be too if you showed up as the uber driver and he's like yeah hey can you help me search i hope that he got

00:12:27 - 00:12:33 | Speaker 4:

a good rating from uh from west on that one um will you be picking him up at 11 o'clock at night

00:12:33 - 00:12:37 | Speaker 1:

from the airport absolutely not but i will order him an uber and make sure it's there

00:12:37 - 00:13:14 | Speaker 4:

and keep ziplock baggies with you um do you guys have a key hiding spot like do you guys have a place that you put your uh your key because sometimes people have the most obvious key hiding spots and when i hear like where somebody like i had a friend of ours that said hey you know i'm not going to be home and i was dropping some stuff off that chelsea wanted me to bring there and they're like but my key is right there underneath my mat i'm like okay you don't think that a person might the first place they would look is under a mat right and he's like no i figured that i put it under the mat because who's dumb enough to hide it under a mat well

00:13:14 - 00:13:52 | Speaker 2:

it's so funny a couple maybe like a couple of years ago i was talking about getting locked out of my house and oh i really need to have you know have a hidden key somewhere give my neighbor a key which i still haven't done by the way and um a listener was so nice and came to an event that i was at and gave me like one of those rocks that has a fake bottom. Yeah, like the hideaway. And he, it was a guy and I was single at the time and he's like, you know I bought this for you. You can put your key in this and put it right outside your house and I'm thinking to myself, I'm not I'm dumb. I'm not that dumb that you know exactly what the rock looks like that hides the key to my house that I live in all by myself.

00:13:52 - 00:13:54 | Speaker 4:

That's his way of trying to get in, huh? Try to get a key?

00:13:55 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 2:

Honestly, it's more of that guy. Nice gesture. Very nice

00:13:58 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 4:

nice gesture do those do those rocks the fake rocks look like rocks or do they look not look

00:14:03 - 00:14:07 | Speaker 2:

really some are better than others i mean this one was actually pretty decent but it wasn't bad

00:14:07 - 00:14:13 | Speaker 4:

yeah uh what's going on kevin hey how are you good buddy where's your secret hiding spot

00:14:13 - 00:14:20 | Speaker 3:

so whenever i go out with friends i usually put it behind the tire the back to the back tire to

00:14:20 - 00:14:26 | Speaker 4:

be specific that would be a great place that would actually be that channon should have done that because then it would have been weatherproof, right?

00:14:26 - 00:14:31 | Speaker 3:

No, it would have been great. Right. Behind the tire. Not on top of it, but behind it, underneath the car.

00:14:31 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 4:

So, wait, you actually put it on the ground, though.

00:14:34 - 00:14:35 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, yep.

00:14:35 - 00:14:43 | Speaker 4:

Because I was thinking that you put it, you know, on the top of the tire underneath the wheel well there, and then it kind of stays there.

00:14:43 - 00:14:44 | Speaker 3:

No, because people look for that stuff.

00:14:45 - 00:15:27 | Speaker 4:

Well, listen, nobody's going to look through the mud in front of the bad tree that's probably half dead in front of the radio studio to try to find him. The problem, though, is, you know, it's almost one of those things where it's like, okay, you almost have to keep it in the obvious spot like in Wes Shannon's fiance's case because you want it to be so obvious that even he can find it right you know and it doesn't run away so um thank you for the call or air tag it yeah that's a good idea yeah have the air tag on so he kind of knows where the air tag is although I'm finding out that air tags are great for getting you to the address but not specific points uh what's up Trevor well good morning Mojo uh I used

00:15:27 - 00:15:34 | Speaker 2:

to hide mine in the gas tank door oh no no that's no really what is it locked i know

00:15:34 - 00:15:41 | Speaker 6:

well some don't have locks don't have locks on them yeah but it's out of the elements and most

00:15:41 - 00:15:49 | Speaker 4:

people wouldn't think to look in there yeah my tahoe it's kind of like a magnetic thing we guys push it and it comes right out uh so it's not really locked when i like if i drop my truck

00:15:49 - 00:16:05 | Speaker 2:

off at the dealership yeah oh my god i'm so dumb i don't have the door to my gas tank so i just assumed he meant in the gas hole because mine's just sticking out of the side in the door you just set it in there and you close the door i don't have a door on mine so i just forgot those

00:16:05 - 00:16:20 | Speaker 4:

existed yeah with jeep a little bit different right although with the jeep honestly there's ways to get in that thing you just leave it in the car and it's probably fine in there um thank you for the call trevor have a great day buddy you too we appreciate it

00:16:21 - 00:16:29 | Speaker 5:

How smart are you? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events and you tell us what year it happened.

00:16:30 - 00:16:36 | Speaker 4:

We know this well. This was the year that President Obama declared a state of emergency for the city of Flint because of the water crisis.

00:16:36 - 00:16:50 | Speaker 3:

Once people figured out that there was a problem there and there was lead in the water, the notion that immediately families weren't notified, things weren't shut down, that shouldn't happen anywhere.

00:16:50 - 00:16:51 | Speaker 4:

Stranger Things was released.

00:16:54 - 00:16:58 | Speaker 2:

Guys, I really think we should turn back. Did you guys hear that?

00:17:00 - 00:17:15 | Speaker 4:

And the big song from Flo Rida. What year was this? We'll set you up with some tickets. Good luck. Go see Adam Sandler if you know the year.

00:17:16 - 00:17:30 | Speaker 5:

Call us and tell us what year that stuff happened. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. How good is your memory? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:17:31 - 00:17:36 | Speaker 4:

President Obama declared a state of emergency for the city of Flint when the water crisis happened.

00:17:36 - 00:17:49 | Speaker 3:

Once people figured out that there was a problem there and there was lead in the water, the notion that immediately families weren't notified, things weren't shut down, that shouldn't happen anywhere.

00:17:50 - 00:17:53 | Speaker 4:

Stranger Things debuted on Netflix.

00:17:54 - 00:17:58 | Speaker 2:

00:18:57 - 00:18:59 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the

00:18:59 - 00:19:02 | Speaker 4:

30. Shannon's got what's trending right now in the Dirty on the 30.

00:19:03 - 00:19:25 | Speaker 1:

Obviously everybody's talking about former President Donald Trump. Yesterday he pleaded not guilty to those 34 felony counts. All allegations relating to his lawyer, Michael Cohen, allegedly paying hush money to adult film star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election. Trump entered a Manhattan courthouse, was fingerprinted, and then was informed of the charges against him.

00:19:25 - 00:19:33 | Speaker 6:

Everybody said, this is not really an indictment. There's nothing here. My lawyers came to me and they said, there's nothing here. They're not even saying what you did.

00:19:33 - 00:19:56 | Speaker 1:

A speech at Mar-a-Lago last night. All of the stated offenses, by the way, occurred when he was president of the United States and somebody else was maintaining his books. Important to note that. And also yesterday, Trump awarded nearly one hundred and twenty two thousand bucks in attorney fees from Stormy Daniels. That amount was in addition to the roughly half a million bucks that she already owes Trump. That award coming hours after the former president appeared in court.

00:19:56 - 00:20:00 | Speaker 4:

The other thing that came out yesterday, I'm sure you can talk about later this morning.

00:20:00 - 00:20:17 | Speaker 9:

morning too is the uh allegation that he paid off somebody for a secret baby that uh that story uh resurfaced a little bit so that was one of the allegations that that was brought up against him and one of the reasons why that attorney general brought these charges so interesting stuff a

00:20:17 - 00:20:29 | Speaker 5:

spokesperson for first lady jill biden walked back her public invite yesterday for the university of iowa women's basketball team to visit the white house following their ncaa championship loss to

00:20:29 - 00:20:50 | Speaker 3:

lsu after lsu star angel reese called that move a joke so i know we'll have the champions come to um to the white house we always do so you know we'll have lsu come but you know what i'm gonna tell joe i think iowa should come too because they played such a good game yeah i want to play

00:20:50 - 00:20:56 | Speaker 5:

you just some of the media's reaction to the first lady inviting both teams let's keep tradition

00:20:56 - 00:21:00 | Speaker 2:

tradition which is a special visit for the winner because you won

00:21:00 - 00:21:17 | Speaker 4:

I don't know being the girl I'm saying bring all the women listen you can't invite both to the White House can you no that's the part of winning a national championship that's the part about winning the Super Bowl the World Series or the NBA title guess what Skip we get invited to the White House

00:21:17 - 00:21:22 | Speaker 5:

even Iowa star Caitlin Clark was commenting

00:21:22 - 00:21:44 | Speaker 1:

I don't know I don't think runner ups usually go to the White House I think LSU should you know enjoy that moment for them and congratulations obviously they deserve to go there uh maybe i could go to the white house on different terms though um but you know i think you know that's for lsu so um you know that's a pretty cool moment and they should enjoy every single you know second of being a champion i cut you off i'm sorry go ahead yeah am i alone in

00:21:44 - 00:21:57 | Speaker 7:

thinking this is a really weird reaction to this like i didn't think athletes played to get an invite to the white house i thought they played to win because they wanted to be good at something It seems like a weird hill for everybody to get mad on.

00:21:57 - 00:22:22 | Speaker 9:

I think that the problem, though, is, Megan, I think that there was so much controversy in that game. And I think some people are discounting LSU's win because they said the referees weren't good. And Kaitlin, you know, got haunted at the end of the game by Angel. So I think that that's where it was. If it was just the end of a race, like if they did that with the men's team and said, we're going to invite San Diego State and UConn, I don't think there would be outrage. But I think the outrage stems from that.

00:22:22 - 00:22:30 | Speaker 7:

At the end of the day, whose name is on the trophy? Whose name goes down in the history books? Who actually walked away? Like, this is not it.

00:22:30 - 00:22:35 | Speaker 8:

If we're giving everybody, like, everything now, then what's the point of winning championships? There's no point.

00:22:35 - 00:22:39 | Speaker 5:

I think that was a big part of it is people were like, it is tradition for only the winner to go.

00:22:39 - 00:22:42 | Speaker 7:

This is just weird to me. It's so weird.

00:22:42 - 00:23:01 | Speaker 9:

Did you guys see the talent that came out and said no more participation trophies? They're saying that we're raising weaker kids, so we're telling the people in the little leagues and all that stuff, stop doing participation trophies. Give the trophies just to the team that wins. And I thought that that was kind of interesting. I don't know if it passed, but I think it was just something they were thinking about doing.

She said she once tried to use Instagram for three days before noticing she was going down this rabbit hole. And so she was done. She said she is able to get doses of social media interaction through her skincare company's account. But that's about it. In the same interview, I thought this was funny. she said this about being a mom which i thought was very relatable i remember my daughter my

00:31:55 - 00:32:38 | Speaker 1:

Oh, listen to this guy. By the way, people started putting the hate. Listen, the hate came on Greg yesterday because the hate's been on every single person that's been part of this Mojo in the Morning show since Monday. But I will say this to you, Greg. There are some people that think that Greg needs to be beat. I do need to be beat. That's a story for another day. Oh, jeez. Oh, there he goes. Funny guy. He's wild like a payroll cat. Funny guy. We're missing out. We're missing the funny guy, so we got the funny guy here. He's like a funny guy. He's a funny guy. He is. Yes, he is. All right. Hang on the phone for a second. Monica, we're going to get you set up with your parting gift. You got Red Robin, a $50 gift card, okay? Okay, thank you. Thank you.

00:32:38 - 00:32:42 | Speaker 4:

It's Mojo in the Mornings. Five at 6.55. Five, five, five, five, five.

00:32:42 - 00:33:22 | Speaker 1:

All right, Mojo in the Mornings show. So, just before the 5 and 655, the survey was that a majority of boomers say that they think having a work wife or a work spouse is okay. There's nothing wrong with that. While millennials say, no, it's inappropriate because it always leads to something inappropriate. And I was thinking about this. You know why they probably feel that way? Their parent probably cheated with their work wife. Yeah. That's probably why they feel that way. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Megan, thoughts on this, on having a work wife?

00:33:23 - 00:33:34 | Speaker 4:

Well, yeah. I have a female best coworker, and we actually call each other partners in crime. I don't think husband and wife is appropriate.

00:33:35 - 00:33:50 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Partners in crime. I like that. And so it's the appropriateness of saying work wife or work husband or whatever is not appropriate. So you can use that if you don't feel uncomfortable with the whole work wife thing. Blair, what's going on?

00:33:51 - 00:34:11 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Yeah, I think it's extremely inappropriate as well. Like I agree with Shannon, it's extremely disrespectful to the spouse that they have at home that takes care of everything at home and their house and everything because the work wife and work husband only see each other at work typically. So they don't experience, like, the real-life aspect of having a relationship.

00:34:11 - 00:34:17 | Speaker 1:

You know what I thought you were going to say? I thought you were going to say, instead of aspect, ass.

00:34:19 - 00:34:22 | Speaker 3:

Hopefully the work wife or work husband is not seeing the ass.

00:34:22 - 00:34:28 | Speaker 1:

Well, I'm talking about them as an ass, too. You experienced them as an ass. Yeah. No, you're right about that.

00:34:29 - 00:34:38 | Speaker 3:

And I feel like sometimes the work spouse will take it too far just because they've been given that title. so they feel like they can overstep that boundary.

00:34:38 - 00:34:41 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, that's a really good point. And how old are you?

00:34:42 - 00:34:43 | Speaker 2:

27.

00:34:43 - 00:34:46 | Speaker 1:

Okay, all right. Tasha, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:34:47 - 00:35:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm just calling it. It opens doors. It's totally right. It opens doors. I had a work husband, and we were simply platonic. No flirting, no nothing. It was jokes. It was funny. And then all of a sudden...

00:35:00 - 00:35:46 | Speaker 4:

sudden it just takes one shift for somebody to start like your co-worker i forgot his name talking about their wife right and you start talking about his wife then he started scheduling me because he's a manager when he was working then it started after we were making out in the linen oh restaurant yeah it turned it turned into that we were going to go to a michigan state football game for a weekend and his wife and the kids came in for a surprise dinner with them at work oh god i saw his wife and his kids i said no way this is done i can't i can't did she ever find out no no and i wasn't gonna tell her because i was stopping it yeah and truly it stopped after that

00:35:46 - 00:36:01 | Speaker 2:

yeah it did stop after that oh yeah okay that was a very pregnant pause no she I know she may not have heard, but no, that's good for you for doing that. Good for you for, you know, getting a hold of your morals.

00:36:01 - 00:36:10 | Speaker 4:

When you see the wife, it's a whole different degree. And the kids. Then you're seeing the person that's not knowing and they're being hurt. Nope, nope.

00:36:11 - 00:36:12 | Speaker 3:

Do you still work there?

00:36:12 - 00:36:24 | Speaker 2:

Mike, I got rid of her. Hold on. No, she's gone. I got rid of her. Why are you looking to see if you can get that guy's number? Yes, I'm very interested in what he's doing. Because he's got Michigan State football tickets? Yes, and maybe a promotion.

00:36:24 - 00:37:08 | Speaker 5:

what's up abby hey so um i'm a millennial but i absolutely have no problem with work wife work husband whatever um but i also work with all boomers and so you would never want them as a as a spouse anyway right you're not cheating with anyone well no i mean like um so it's funny like we have like whole work families like we put in a lot a lot of hours so like at one point like you know i had a work husband and then somebody else like oh yeah well you know abby's based on my work wife and i was like uh no i already have a work husband but like you can be my work boyfriend um and then like i also have a work wife um and then like even the guys will call each other their work wives it's like they work families it's a whole thing so work families and you're

00:37:08 - 00:37:21 | Speaker 6:

okay with it no problem hayley what are your thoughts i say no there is nothing honestly more irritating than when people say work husband or work wife you can have a work mom i have that

00:37:21 - 00:37:26 | Speaker 2:

I like, by the way, I like the idea that it's not about the cheating to you. It's just, it sounds stupid.

00:37:26 - 00:37:31 | Speaker 6:

Yes, and it's like, I have a boyfriend and I don't need to fake it with you.

00:37:33 - 00:37:34 | Speaker 2:

Why, because you have to fake it with your boyfriend?

00:37:35 - 00:37:38 | Speaker 6:

No, it's real. Oh, I'm just kidding.

00:37:51 - 00:38:53 | Speaker 2:

Five lies to tell your mom.

00:43:08 - 00:45:17 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the morning, ciao. So tell me if you guys think that somebody has the right to do this. And I know a majority of people are going to say no to this. Had a friend over to the house, just kind of hanging out. And we're sitting on the couch, just kind of chilling out. We had the TV on. I think that maybe they said ESPN or something. And we're talking, and I have two dogs. I've talked about them before, Henry and Louis. and my dog Louie is like the nicest dog in the world to be quite honest with you I think that poor Louie has to deal with the dysfunction of Henry all the time so he kind of just does it I always say that Henry is my oldest son Joe Louie is my middle son Jacob Louie jumps on my friend's lap which he was cool with and then he's petting and he's kind of getting you know excited that louis was showing him attention now i do have to let you know this that louis has something wrong with his uh his spine that he was born with because we could never get a dog that doesn't have any kind of deficiency that cost me a lot of money at a vet okay yeah our our uh dog lily was literally the reason why they put a wing on at the union lake veterinary clinic okay the entire wing is now named the lily wing because of we spent so much money there all right so louie is on his lap he's petting he's petting well he hit the spot that louie didn't like and when louie doesn't like the spot that you hit he will growl at you he doesn't bite you but he does that like he does that whole little like you know or something yeah it sounds even more vicious These are little seven-pound dogs. Yes, very little. I should... tell people they're toy poodles okay and don't laugh at the fact that i have a toy poodle thank you no it's not you i would never i would never do that listen you got a dog that's even more dorky than my dog okay i hope he's not listening right now your mouth i just said i

00:45:17 - 00:45:22 | Speaker 2:

just called coralline he yeah you did i'm sorry at least she got the name he got he got what are

00:45:22 - 00:46:18 | Speaker 1:

he yeah what is coralline what is coralline identifying as what do we know italian gray hound or iggy all right good all right so back to my story because it's gonna be a long-winded and i know you're gonna people you know are gonna hate it um so louis growls he gets up really fast my buddy gets up really fast and swats at louis like hits him swats at him luckily missing louis because louis fast and this guy's not he's just fat and i'm like hey what are you doing and he goes your dog just did that and i'm like you can't discipline my dog and i and i know it's my fault i should have said to him hey you got to be careful with his back because we do it a lot chelsea is probably better at doing that when we have guests over hey just be careful yeah he's got a sensitive spot and when people are like that they're really good about being really gentle and louie's awesome louie will sit there forever and follow you home because louie hates me but

00:46:18 - 00:46:24 | Speaker 2:

this guy meant to swat him it wasn't just like a knee-jerk reaction to oh he was him thinking he

00:46:24 - 00:47:24 | Speaker 1:

might he might nip at him or something oh he was no he was definitely swatting him did you swap back oh i know i started yelling back i listen i got really tense for a while and actually the rest of the evening it was a little bit tense so i i said to him i go you can't discipline my dog and he goes what do you mean well he he tried to you know to swipe at me i said no he was growling at you and i explained to him what was going on and then things kind of settled down because he didn't see my reasoning to the whole thing so i wanted to ask this question because i know for a fact that we have talked on the show about people who have been out in somebody the complete stranger or somebody that wasn't you try to discipline your kids and everybody was adamant that you cannot discipline another person's children okay unless maybe the child is going to hurt themselves or something like that you can tell them no don't do that but everybody was adamant about that can you discipline another person's pet? Like, can you do that? Can you do a complete stranger's pet or another person that's not yours pet?

00:47:24 - 00:48:10 | Speaker 2:

I would be so mad if somebody tried to hit my, I mean, I think I might hit the person. Honestly, do not touch my dog. Do not touch my kids. That's when, you know, mama bear comes up. I remember this is, God, I was probably in first or second grade maybe, and I was with one of my little friends from school, and we were at a Payless shoe store, I think it was, if I remember correctly. And I don't know what we were doing. We were probably like running up and down the aisles and trying on shoes or whatever. And we were with her dad. And when we were both walking out of the store, he finally, you know, had had enough of us being kids. When we were walking out of the store, she walked out, my friend walked out first and he smacked her on the bottom. And then I walked out after her and he smacked me on the bottom.

00:48:10 - 00:48:11 | Speaker 3:

Oh, hell no.

00:48:11 - 00:48:28 | Speaker 2:

And I never told my parents, i remember thinking that was really weird what was he smacking you guys on the bottom for because we were running around and he had probably told us to stop or whatever we were doing i don't remember but he's not he's not your dad he's your friend's dad him spanking me and it was just so

00:48:28 - 00:48:37 | Speaker 1:

weird yeah you can't do that if you would have told your dad i know how your dad is tim he would have been oh yeah i've been crazy about that my mom would have probably been like good she

00:48:37 - 00:48:44 | Speaker 2:

service my dad no but you can't do that i mean i i wouldn't want that for my kids no way dan

00:48:44 - 00:49:24 | Speaker 3:

what's up it's mojo in the morning oh it's dean but dean i apologize anyway it's all right i just want to say i had actually almost got into it violently with one of my friends because he he corrected my dog so that's just like my my wife calls him my third baby so you can't that's that's like hitting your kid like she said what was he correcting your dog over oh i can't because Because he kept, like, I guess, well, my dog is, like, it's a golden retriever. So, he likes to nudge you. Like, if you're not petting him or if you're not paying attention to him, he'll, like, put his nose under your hand and, like, flip it. And I guess that was aggravating him. And he didn't want him touching him or whatever. I don't, for dog fur, I guess, getting on his clothes. He was being petty.

00:49:25 - 00:49:26 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

00:49:26 - 00:49:26 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:49:26 - 00:49:28 | Speaker 1:

I identify as a golden retriever, by the way.

00:49:29 - 00:49:35 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. I got two now. So, we're going to make him have puppy shit. That's it. That's the dog.

00:49:35 - 00:49:53 | Speaker 1:

Oh, wow. By the way, if that's what you're doing it for because of that, because you didn't want fur on your clothes, say something to the, you know, to Dean. Say something to the dad of the dog. I always vowed that I would never let anybody call me Henry and Louie's dad.

00:49:54 - 00:49:56 | Speaker 2:

And I just referred to that. And look at you now.

00:49:56 - 00:49:58 | Speaker 1:

I'm now. What's going on, Jessica?

00:50:00 - 00:50:02 | Speaker 2:

Hi, guys. It's Jessica Delitz. How are you?

00:50:02 - 00:50:06 | Speaker 5:

Hey, what's up, Jessica? What's going on? How's that baby of yours doing?

00:50:06 - 00:50:09 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. She's the best thing in the world.

00:50:09 - 00:50:10 | Speaker 5:

Oh, she's so cute.

00:50:11 - 00:50:58 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. No, I, so before Lily came along, so my daughter's name is Lily. So before she came along, I mean, I'm still the same way. I have two dogs, Slinky and Lola. And they're the, they're like your dogs. They're the sweetest dogs in the world. But I don't know if you guys have ever heard, dogs have really good intuition. with people like they they have really really good intuition well my dog slinky he's a little uh long-haired mini uh dash hound he's a little wiener dog and he barks a lot well people get really annoyed of it and he does it a lot with men i mean it took like two years for him to get used to my dad now he's my dad's best friend well if anyone tried i mean even my dad if he yelled at him i'm like what are you doing like he's being protective i live alone you want him

00:50:58 - 00:51:04 | Speaker 5:

to not be protective yeah so you so have you had anybody that wasn't your dad like some guy just

00:51:04 - 00:51:29 | Speaker 2:

yell at your dogs for barking um i mean my brothers i have guy friends you know i've had lily's dad yell at them and i'm like uh-uh yeah dog you know i would rather him bark and lola barks too but she's old so you know it is with it but i'd rather them bark than not they don't bite you know they'll lick you to death if anything yeah well okay i have a question yeah

00:51:29 - 00:51:57 | Speaker 6:

if so my neighbor's dog does this barks constantly but he does nothing he'll stand out the dog will stand in the front yard and bark at everybody i've lived there for two years now and he still barks at me and it's like a loud uncomfortable like the kids are a little nervous around it he's never done anything other than bark i've never done anything to the dog or tried to stop the dog but what do i do at that point what are you hiding the dog obviously knows something about

00:51:57 - 00:52:11 | Speaker 5:

you nothing absolutely you bad bad man yeah clearly i think i think in that case you just saying hey quiet or something like that oh actually i know see i wouldn't even do that

00:52:11 - 00:52:20 | Speaker 4:

don't yell at the dog yell at the owner or just nicely say to the guy like make a joke of it just so that the that the neighbor is aware like it makes you uncomfortable that the dog is barking

00:52:20 - 00:52:24 | Speaker 2:

at you all the time. Mike, do your kids make noises outside?

00:52:25 - 00:52:26 | Speaker 4:

Should we yell at your kids for making

00:52:26 - 00:52:30 | Speaker 6:

noises outside? My kids are yelling at the strangers. Should we yell at your children?

00:52:30 - 00:52:32 | Speaker 4:

Do your Christmas lights shine into his living room

00:52:32 - 00:52:49 | Speaker 6:

window late at night? First off, who told you about the Christmas lights? Those are coming down soon. No, if my kids were to yell at the neighbors walking by and go, hey, what are you doing? What are you doing? Why are you walking by? Why are you walking by? What are you doing? Why are you walking by? Then, yes, tell my kids to stop. But

00:52:49 - 00:53:09 | Speaker 5:

that you're saying that that's what the equivalent is of a dog's bark is the kids constantly saying that it's just screaming at us for no reason why do you think your kids are better than our dogs because they are george has a very good point george what's your point well you know you never

00:53:09 - 00:54:00 | Speaker 3:

discipline someone else's dog but i've had dogs that'll you know react like that or maybe growl at you and get a little weird and i just talk to them you know i mean i've told i've had dogs and you know and i just tell them look hey i'm not gonna hurt you you got to be in a calm voice because if you react they'll react right and you know you're better off just to you know hey i'm not gonna hurt you relax you know you know you always give them the back of your hand let them sniff it you never go fingers out you know it gives them something to bite they'll calm down if you're calm and to mike's point about having a dog bark in a neighborhood like that But if you can be friended a little bit, they won't bother you because they know, oh, yeah, that's the guy that gave me the mouth bone one time. Or, you know, they have to understand that you're not going to hurt them. You're not there to, you know, bother them. Yeah.

00:54:00 - 00:54:04 | Speaker 6:

Exactly. Yeah. I got to buy your dog treats, too. No, I got to feed your dog a milk cone.

00:54:04 - 00:54:06 | Speaker 2:

I got to buy your kids Girl Scout cookies.

00:54:08 - 00:54:09 | Speaker 5:

Alicia?

00:54:10 - 00:54:11 | Speaker 1:

Hi, good morning, guys.

00:54:11 - 00:54:13 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. What did your dad do?

00:54:14 - 00:54:35 | Speaker 1:

So our family dog, we would often let her, her name was Coco, she was the best. We'd often let her out in the front yard. She was very good about, you know, staying near us. So this crazy neighbor one time, literally just as the neighbor was walking down the road, decided to walk up into our yard and kick our dog.

00:54:35 - 00:54:36 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

00:54:37 - 00:54:53 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it was crazy. Like, it was a whole excuse. But my dad saw it happen. And so my dad ran up to this crazy neighbor and was like, if I ever see you come into our yard again, I will kick you to next Sunday. I love it. That's for your dad.

00:54:54 - 00:54:55 | Speaker 5:

I love it. Yeah.

00:54:55 - 00:54:56 | Speaker 1:

My dad was very protective, so.

00:54:57 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 5:

I think your dad should have just kicked him. Like, I don't even think you're four.

00:55:00 - 00:55:02 | Speaker 2:

worn on that thing, you know? I don't think

00:55:02 - 00:55:05 | Speaker 1:

so, too. She was a crazy neighbor, so she probably deserved it, but...

00:55:05 - 00:55:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you don't kick somebody's dog. Thank you for the call. I appreciate it.

00:55:10 - 00:55:21 | Speaker 3:

The smell of spring. Fresh vegetation. The smell of fresh air. And the smell of all that dog food that piled up over the winter. Oh, fuck me. This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:56:05 - 00:56:07 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:56:07 - 00:56:09 | Speaker 2:

All right, Shannon, what you got in this hour's Dirty on the 30?

00:56:10 - 00:57:46 | Speaker 1:

Well, Stormy Daniels had her best day ever on a very popular pornography website yesterday. The people over at Good Old Pornhub say Donald Trump's arrest has really put the focus on Stormy's videos with searches for her stuff absolutely spiking while Trump was getting booked. Stormy was searched more than 650,000 times yesterday, which is a 32,400% increase in the daily search average from the past three months. Everybody, she was just top of mind, I think. Catching you up on yesterday, by the way, the former president entered a Manhattan courthouse just after 2 p.m. He was fingerprinted. He was informed of the charges against him. Again, the New York-based grand jury accused Trump of falsifying business records in the first degree, 34 felony counts of falsifying business records, all of which related back to hush money payments. And included in some of the stuff I read yesterday, and Mojo, you may have read it more extensively than I did, but the story of the former Trump Tower doorman and his claim that Trump fathered a child with an ex-employee back in the 1980s. It was a story that appeared in the National Enquirer and one of the things that Michael Cohen allegedly tried to suppress during the 2016 presidential campaign, along with Trump's alleged affairs with Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal. Kind of a story that a lot of people, I think, forgot about until you went through and read each of those those charges yesterday, which you were able to do.

00:57:46 - 00:58:04 | Speaker 2:

yeah they all but whatever the one thing is that they say potentially could be the damning charge because all the pundits on television i mean even on msnbc and cnn they were saying there wasn't as much as they thought that was going to be there on this one yeah yeah uh last night the former

00:58:04 - 00:58:16 | Speaker 1:

president by the way returning to mar-a-lago to a crowd of cheering supporters where he railed against the election interference being brought by manhattan da alvin bragg and i never thought

00:58:16 - 00:58:32 | Speaker 3:

anything like this could happen in america never thought it could happen the only crime that i have committed is to fearlessly defend our nation from those who seek to destroy it said we had a great

00:58:32 - 00:58:38 | Speaker 1:

day today actually because it all turned out to be a sham they can't beat us at the ballot box

00:58:38 - 00:58:47 | Speaker 3:

so they try and beat us through the law that's the country in which we live however right now The USA is a mess.

00:58:47 - 00:58:57 | Speaker 2:

He said that it was very interesting that Melania, the former first lady, was not there. She was not inside at all. Everybody else was there, right?

00:58:57 - 00:59:09 | Speaker 1:

The rest of the family was there, but no Melania. Yesterday, we got the teaser for the new Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. Hi, Barbie! Hi, Ken!

00:59:09 - 00:59:11 | Speaker 3:

I thought I might stay over tonight.

00:59:11 - 00:59:11 | Speaker 1:

Why?

00:59:12 - 00:59:18 | Speaker 3:

Because we're girlfriend-boyfriend. To do what? I'm actually not sure

00:59:18 - 00:59:47 | Speaker 1:

Helen Mirren, Michael Cera, America Ferrera I just announced Dua Lipa Also part of the cast She plays a mermaid version of Barbie Really she posted a photo That was what everybody was talking about on her Instagram She's also rumored to have recorded a couple of songs For the soundtrack I don't have confirmation of that yet But I am hearing that from a few different places But Barbie set to be released on July 21st. You've got to wait until the summer to see it. I can't believe I'm saying this

00:59:47 - 00:59:49 | Speaker 2:

but it actually looks like a movie

00:59:49 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 1:

I would want to see. I think it looks kind of good. Greta Gerwig is amazing. I cannot wait for this. She's going to kill it and I think it's going to be a little bit more serious

01:00:00 - 01:00:04 | Speaker 5:

than we expect. I think this is going to be really funny with like a serious plot underneath.

01:00:05 - 01:00:18 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. And lastly, the Detroit Pistons. Guess how many wings competitive eater Joey Chestnut could eat and then watched him down 38 wings in just over three minutes. Three minutes and 13 seconds to be exact. 3-1-3. Come on.

01:00:18 - 01:00:19 | Speaker 5:

Come on. Come on.

01:00:19 - 01:00:26 | Unknown:

Come on. Come on. Come on. Joey. Joey. Joey. Joey. Joey.

01:00:27 - 01:00:37 | Speaker 4:

Joey. Joey. Let's go, Joey. Come on. Guard Jared Roden was just starstruck. Apparently, he's a huge Joey Chestnut fan.

01:00:38 - 01:00:43 | Speaker 5:

That's crazy. That's wild. I can't. I would never in my life be here like that.

01:00:43 - 01:01:00 | Speaker 4:

And then I heard Joey Chestnut was at the Pistons versus Miami Heat game yesterday at halftime. There was a contest to see how many coney dogs he could down to raise money for Forgotten Harvest. And I think he ended up eating seven coney dogs in 60 seconds. How does he do it? That makes me want to throw up.

01:01:01 - 01:01:04 | Speaker 1:

I mean, I can eat a lot, but I can't do it all that fast.

01:01:05 - 01:01:14 | Speaker 5:

And then they shake. I feel disrespected from the Pistons for not inviting us to go eat in front of the players. I know. I'd like to show off my talents.

01:01:14 - 01:01:28 | Speaker 1:

They invited us on the wrong date. Did you see the way that he eats wings, too? He eats them in a way that I want to try next time that I'm out for wings. He takes them and just takes all the meat off of the bone, throws the bone aside, and then eats just the meat by itself.

01:01:29 - 01:01:35 | Speaker 5:

That's sexy. Yeah, it's so sexy. It's like feral and like, ugh.

01:01:35 - 01:01:43 | Speaker 2:

Is he single? I'm going to give you a minute. Is he a single man? Can we hook him up with Megan maybe for a date before he flies out of town? Oh my God.

01:01:43 - 01:01:48 | Speaker 5:

Could you imagine going on a date where the most I get turned on is just watching a man eat, put it in your mouth?

01:01:48 - 01:01:56 | Speaker 4:

He's engaged. Oh no, they split. I think he's single. Hang on, let me do some more research. All right, for all of these things dirty, check out the dirty page on mojointhemorning.com.

I can't wait. My daughter lives down there like your son does. So cool. Can't wait to go down.

01:03:11 - 01:03:12 | Speaker 1:

Where about is your daughter?

01:03:13 - 01:03:15 | Speaker 3:

She's in Bella Bluff, right around the corner from Clearwater.

01:03:15 - 01:03:19 | Speaker 1:

Oh, nice. That's not that far from where, yeah, my son is. So that's cool.

01:03:20 - 01:03:24 | Speaker 3:

Yep, very, very gorgeous down there, but too hot in the summer. But any other time, yes.

01:03:24 - 01:04:05 | Speaker 1:

I know. I know. We have some crazy weather today. This morning is going to obviously be a little bit crazy, too. We're hearing rumbles of thunder and things that have been popping through. And then later in the day, we're going to actually potentially, in some of our listening areas, have a tornado warning. There will definitely probably be watches that will be on throughout the whole day. So be alert to that. It is the Mojo in the Morning Show. Phone number is 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. The text is 95500. So, Megan, you guys are doing this on purpose.

01:04:06 - 01:04:09 | Speaker 5:

Oh, are you talking? Oh, yes. The matching clothes?

01:04:09 - 01:04:09 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

01:04:10 - 01:04:36 | Speaker 5:

Oh, let me tell you. This is a new thing in my life, and I don't know who I'm becoming. I'm in a new blooming phase. You know how spring is here and life is coming back. I feel like I'm entering a new phase of my life, and I'm not sure I even enjoy being here, but it is what it is, and I don't think I can stop the train at this point. I was going to say derail the train off the tracks, but too soon. I live in Ohio.

01:04:37 - 01:04:51 | Speaker 1:

Oh, jeez. Oh, I didn't even think about that, but God. All right. Let me say this. Megan and her family are doing something this summer on purpose to bring themselves closer together just to see what reaction will be. What is that?

01:04:51 - 01:04:58 | Speaker 4:

We're going to be buying matching clothes this summer. This is so not Megan Mick. My brain feels like it's going to explode.

01:04:58 - 01:05:00 | Speaker 5:

I know, but I'm kind of.

01:05:00 - 01:05:43 | Speaker 4:

really on board because it started as a drunken idea and it's turned into reality i'm kind of here for it so we found uh mia dress and the boys button-up shirts that all match and go together and we've decided that we will coordinate what days we will wear these and we will go out around downtown toledo we'll go out to dinner and if anybody brings up the fact that we're matching we will get gas what oh my you guys did anybody check before we left that and make a very big deal out of the fact that we didn't mean to plan to wear the same clothes and it's so stupid i realized so how dumb the joke is but i want to do it so bad this is not just a

01:05:43 - 01:05:48 | Speaker 1:

one-time thing you guys are thinking about getting many outfits in doing this we went to this matching

01:05:48 - 01:06:18 | Speaker 4:

outfit website and at first we were like we're just gonna get one and then i found like four dresses i actually wanted who's we you and your brother and your dad yes and some some other people as well some other maybe significant others maybe cousins aunts uncles but this is becoming like a new trend for us is the but here's the thing before you judge me too hard y'all go to family reunions and wear the same matching t-shirts what's the difference You know what I'm like? I'm just spending a little bit more money to get nicer clothes.

01:06:19 - 01:06:30 | Speaker 1:

That is actually true. But I do find it funny when people do the matching t-shirt thing for the family reunions and they'll all be wearing it. And there's the one person that didn't want to wear it, you know?

01:06:30 - 01:06:30 | Speaker 4:

That's always me.

01:06:31 - 01:06:37 | Speaker 1:

There's always the one. They're like, we have to wear this thing. That would have been me too. But you guys are going to do not matching t-shirts.

01:06:37 - 01:06:39 | Speaker 3:

There's no purpose either.

01:06:39 - 01:06:47 | Speaker 1:

Where will the match be? Will the match be more than shirts for the guys? will like the guys actually match pant wise too they just have buttoned up shirts i couldn't find

01:06:47 - 01:06:51 | Speaker 4:

anything else they were button ups but it's the same material that the dresses are made out of

01:06:51 - 01:07:20 | Speaker 1:

um and a quick question to the listeners out there and your thoughts on this one first off give megan you know your idea because i love it i think it's fun um but are there any people that are listening that seriously do wear matching outfits as a family other than if you are mom and dad with your little ones like like we do matching pjs sometimes yes for like christmas But do you remember how awkward it was, Megan, when you and I were matching stuff on accident at the Pistons game? Last week? Yes.

01:07:21 - 01:07:30 | Speaker 4:

So we did accidentally match at the Pistons game, and we did look like an old married couple that, like, if they ever got lost in the crowd, just pointed out to people and said, they look like me.

01:07:31 - 01:07:32 | Speaker 1:

You've seen Merle. She's in the vest.

01:07:33 - 01:07:42 | Speaker 3:

Please, please promise me, Megan, that one of the times that you guys all have matching outfits on, you go to, like, a JCPenney and take family photos. Please.

01:07:42 - 01:07:51 | Speaker 4:

Do you know how expensive that is now? Is it really? Yeah, I tried booking one just as a joke, and it's a couple hundred bucks. No. Really? Yes, I'm not kidding you. A couple hundred.

01:07:51 - 01:07:56 | Speaker 1:

So the JCPenney Photoshop is still open, and it's expensive?

01:07:56 - 01:07:58 | Speaker 3:

Oh, it's still open. I didn't know that. Oh, it's definitely.

01:07:59 - 01:08:16 | Speaker 1:

They probably own the market. I don't know anybody else that does it. There are some stores, aren't there still, that just have photo places? There's one right down the street for us. Let's see. Yeah. Or photographers that may have little studios. What's up, Taylor? hello hey what's going on what do you think about this idea of megan's whole family matching this

01:08:16 - 01:08:38 | Speaker 2:

summer i think it's awesome um i actually was at target not too long ago and they have a whole matching family set down to dresses for kids yes for men for your puppies wait what yeah yep they do did you say i mean the dress matches the dog's dress you said there's dog clothes all right uh

01:08:38 - 01:08:47 | Speaker 1:

new plan we're going to target in the entire in the entire sections have different uh different

01:08:47 - 01:08:54 | Speaker 2:

sizes for different people yeah for men for women for babies toddlers dogs they all match

01:08:54 - 01:09:07 | Speaker 3:

to the t to each other yeah oh megan i just got you a groupon 27 for one jc penny photography session with three digital images thank you and one standard print god thank you this might be

01:09:07 - 01:09:17 | Speaker 1:

my favorite this might be my favorite text because megan will get it and she'll love it 586 says megan you guys will be the von trapp family singers

01:09:17 - 01:09:30 | Speaker 3:

i honest to god though can't believe that your brother was up for this

01:09:30 - 01:09:33 | Speaker 4:

I don't really think he wants to do it

01:09:33 - 01:09:48 | Speaker 1:

Danielle you were the texter that did the Von Trapp one you were on hold probably with Lydia just a second ago she actually did the Hills Are Alive what do you think of this idea do you think this is a good idea for Megan and her family to do it just to kind of mess with people

01:09:48 - 01:09:57 | Speaker 2:

I think it's a great idea it totally made me think of the Sound of Music where she like took curtains and made matching outfits for everyone in the family

01:09:57 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 1:

yeah don't you think that that

01:10:00 - 01:10:05 | Speaker 2:

That's got to be Megan, though. Megan's got to be the, you know, the mom that goes and does that.

01:10:06 - 01:10:12 | Speaker 5:

Yes, yes. I'm sure she'll need to find some good curtains and some cute outfits, but I think she could pull it off. Yeah.

01:10:14 - 01:10:20 | Speaker 1:

Can I tell you, you have completely made my day not letting this reference go, and I love you very much.

01:10:20 - 01:10:58 | Speaker 2:

Can I tell you that I was the kid that never got to do matching shirts with, like, my brothers and stuff. my parents never did it because we were all so different sizes and my parents just couldn't afford to go out there and try to find the show i was a little bit the only time i was even close was you remember how every kid back when we were younger had those rugby shirts so we always you know what i'm talking about there were like the striped shirts and they had the white collar um they yeah or yeah like a different they were in they were real thicker yeah my brother and i both one time wore the same exact rugby shirt. And that was fun. But, yeah. What's up, Jeanette?

01:10:59 - 01:11:00 | Unknown:

Hi!

01:11:00 - 01:11:02 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. What's going on?

01:11:02 - 01:11:25 | Speaker 6:

I match with my son every time we go out. Every time. To the movies, to the mall, out to eat, I match with my son. So if he want to wear blue, I wear blue. And we kind of like do a plaid, because that's what he likes. So, yeah. I do it every single time. How old is your son? My son is 11. Aw. Does he like it? Yes.

01:11:26 - 01:11:28 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's really good. At what age does he stop liking it?

01:11:28 - 01:11:40 | Speaker 6:

I was going to say, soak it in now. I don't know, and I'm not stopping it, because we do it all the time, and he loves it. Like, he picks the colors, and we go out. Oh, that's so cute.

01:11:41 - 01:11:58 | Speaker 3:

I'm convinced my wife does this, too. Like, she tricks me. Like, because she'll ask me what I'm wearing. I'll tell her I'm going to wear this if we go out for something. and she won't wear the exact same thing, but she will color coordinate what we're going to wear, basically. And I think she is planning this the entire time to match every time we go out.

01:11:58 - 01:12:02 | Speaker 1:

But you guys look like a power couple, and I just want to look powerful.

01:12:03 - 01:12:06 | Speaker 3:

I don't know about that. I think we look silly. I think we look silly matching.

01:12:07 - 01:12:22 | Speaker 2:

It's cute when you guys do it, and you guys have the kids also with you. When you're together just as a couple, you kind of look like that couple. I'm not trying to be that couple. I know. it's it's ali it's ali's trying she's mark she's marking her man raven what's up

01:12:23 - 01:12:32 | Speaker 4:

hey i was just thinking what if we called it mix matching day drinking oh and do like a pub crawl

01:12:32 - 01:12:50 | Speaker 2:

or something like that megan invite people actually what you need to do is you need the link out you need to send it out to all the listeners and then turn it into something but then you guys start off by yourselves as just the you know four or five of you guys and then eventually there's over a hundred people wearing the same exact outfit

01:12:50 - 01:12:57 | Speaker 1:

hear me out I think we just have to change this to Hawaiian shirts mom jeans and Crocs and we just go out as Scott Mick

01:12:57 - 01:13:33 | Speaker 2:

I was going to say that's Scott Mick's Tuesday night exactly Mojo in the morning our first 70 degree day of 2023 today But unfortunately it's going to be a wet one It's probably not going to be one You're going to want to be outside I don't know Alright it is the Mojo in the Morning show So Mike A mom is Snapchatting you And we know who this mom is Or we know at least the Daughter

01:13:33 - 01:14:31 | Speaker 3:

You all know her You all know the daughter It is And I only have Snapchat for my midday show It is something I use for Story Wars, you can follow me if you want to follow me It's just a stupid game I made up for middays Or whatever, so that's literally the only reason I use Snapchat And I just got a Snapchat, and I don't know if this is real Or it's a Spam account, but Lydia's Mom Snapchatted me A couple days ago, and was like I have a picture of you and Lydia And I went, this is not Lydia's mom there's no way this is lydia's mom but i responded i went oh cool send it on over and again i thought i was going to get a link to some weird porn site or it was going to be a bot or something like that and legit she sent a picture over of lydia and myself on the big screen at lca during the pistons game okay i went what why uh is this this can't be lydia's mom this is

01:14:31 - 01:14:45 | Speaker 2:

somebody messing with me so wait so okay so initially i mean with snapchat you automatically just assume people snap for the fact that it's yeah naked yeah yeah but um she's she's okay to

01:14:45 - 01:14:51 | Speaker 1:

have a snapchat account isn't she no she overuses that thing wait wait okay so you are very aware

01:14:51 - 01:15:04 | Speaker 2:

she has one lydia's from our show lydia answers the phones if you have not ever met lydia she's awesome if you have never met her mom she's even more awesome Thank you. you don't like the idea that your mom has a snapchat i love that woman but there's no need

01:15:04 - 01:15:10 | Speaker 3:

to add every single person that she even thinks of in her brain on snapchat all right so we got

01:15:10 - 01:15:15 | Speaker 2:

to throw this out there we got to ask that question to the moms mom why do you use snapchat i want to

01:15:15 - 01:15:19 | Speaker 4:

know why mom's on snapchat is your mom awake lydia we need to call her because i want to know

01:15:19 - 01:15:31 | Speaker 2:

who she's snapchatting snapchat real quick she's so sweet isn't it funny with snapchat though you sit there and you wait if somebody says i got something i want to show you you wait and you automatically wait to see if it's going to be

01:15:31 - 01:15:41 | Speaker 4:

a nude. Mike, I love too that you were like, oh, it's probably a link to a porn site, but yeah, send it. Like, no shame there. Do you guys want me to call her on Snapchat

01:15:41 - 01:15:42 | Speaker 1:

real quick and say hi? I think

01:15:42 - 01:15:53 | Speaker 2:

Lydia's dialing her right now if you want to. Let's see who gets her first. See which one she actually pays attention to more. Her Snapchat or delivery.

01:15:54 - 01:15:58 | Speaker 4:

Oh, she's already on. Oh, is she ever? I think, yeah. Is she ever? Yeah.

01:15:58 - 01:16:05 | Speaker 2:

Hold on a second here. Lydia's mom is on the phone with us right now. Lydia's mom. Hello. Mom.

01:16:05 - 01:16:06 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Mom.

01:16:06 - 01:16:09 | Speaker 2:

How are you, mom? Good morning. It's nice to have you.

01:16:09 - 01:16:12 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. Don't fucking call me, mom.

01:16:13 - 01:16:17 | Speaker 2:

So Mike's talking about how you've been snapping with Mike.

01:16:18 - 01:16:20 | Speaker 3:

I did. I did. That was me.

01:16:20 - 01:16:34 | Speaker 1:

Okay, good. I didn't know if it was fake, like it was a bot or if it was spam or for somebody messing with me, I feel like you need to be careful with Snapchat. I'm sure you've used it before, but it's...

01:16:34 - 01:16:38 | Speaker 2:

Why does she need to be careful, though? She knows how to do it. What do you use it for, Lydia's mom?

01:16:39 - 01:16:42 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I just, you know, daily Snapchats or whatever.

01:16:43 - 01:16:47 | Speaker 2:

Do you communicate with your friends on Snapchat?

01:16:47 - 01:16:48 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, who are you snapping the most on there?

01:16:51 - 01:16:54 | Speaker 3:

There really isn't anybody specifically. Sometimes it's Lydia.

01:16:55 - 01:16:59 | Speaker 2:

Really? She's got a high score. Because my wife, Chelsea, she has a, what's that?

01:16:59 - 01:17:10 | Speaker 1:

She's got a high Snapchat score. 9,983. I mean, it's pretty good. Dang, Lydia's mom. That's awesome. You get a point for every snap you send and receive.

01:17:10 - 01:17:16 | Speaker 4:

Is your wonderful husband on Snapchat? No. No. No, he's not on social media at all.

01:17:16 - 01:17:46 | Speaker 2:

So my wife snaps the boys every single day, the ones that are out of town, just to make sure they're alive. they just have to send a picture every day to her and she sends a picture to them and that's their way to communicate and who knows who the other boys are that she's snapping to watch out Mike she might be hitting you up too what's her score you know what honestly I'm not on Snapchat I don't snap so I didn't even know the whole score thing but I'm going to actually find out because if she's got a score as high as Lydia's mom I'm worried Kelly what's going on

01:17:46 - 01:18:16 | Speaker 4:

I found out my mom had a Snapchat when she friend requested me And then a bunch of my friends were like, hey, your mom sent me a request on Snapchat. And I was like, what? Are you serious? So she's added every one of my friends because I've mentioned them in my Snap. And every time I post on Snapchat, I get like a thousand notifications from her because she's got to send like a comment on every single Snapchat. I cannot.

01:18:16 - 01:18:20 | Speaker 2:

Does it bother you that your mom is communicating with your friends like that?

01:18:21 - 01:18:26 | Speaker 4:

I mean, it doesn't bother me. Do I find it a little weird? Yeah, a little bit.

01:18:26 - 01:18:28 | Speaker 2:

Any guy friends at all?

01:18:30 - 01:18:38 | Speaker 3:

Two of my guy friends. And they're like, your mom sent me a snap. I was like, hey, your picture looks good. And he was like, I felt so weird. I just gave her a thumbs up.

01:18:40 - 01:18:42 | Speaker 2:

Sarah, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

01:18:43 - 01:18:44 | Speaker 3:

Good morning, everybody. How are you?

01:18:45 - 01:18:46 | Speaker 2:

Good. What's going on?

01:18:47 - 01:19:53 | Speaker 3:

Nothing, actually. dropping one of our little minor listeners off at school today okay and you're a mom that uses snapchat i am a mom but my mom excessively uses snapchat what's the reason um so she's always using like filters and stuff at work she's a secretary at the hospital so she's always sending me like the weird filters and um she'll like take random snaps of the dog and then she'll take random snaps of my son like they just spent the last four days in chicago so they flooded my snapchat with numerous snaps of literally just like scenery um random stuff like she let my son take the phone and do snapchats and see that's cute see that problem is snapchat has the best filters too and so that that's the sad truth yeah but um no she'll she'll be bored at work and she'll just start taking like the random like the hairstyles or like the weird makeup stuff and she'll start sending me random snapchats i'm like okay mom i'm at work okay mom i'm at work i gotta go and mom you're supposed to be at work too you're right and she works at the hospital right

01:19:53 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 2:

wow hannah what's going on hey how are you guys we're doing all right what's going

01:20:00 - 01:20:48 | Speaker 3:

on with you are you a snapper uh so i have to be i gotta keep up with the joneses like you want to talk to your kid that's how you talk how old are your kids uh well they range but the ones that use it the most are 16 and 13 and they are on their phones i will call i could be dying nobody answers i snapped them oh i didn't have my phone oh but you heard your snap though right i can't miss a snap so really quick story really funny stupid right whatever i was like do you guys talk in school like you guys ask for each other's phone numbers my 16 year old looked at me like i was crazy a phone number she goes no we asked for your snapchat i was like huh

01:20:48 - 01:20:55 | Speaker 5:

i was like yeah this generation you know what you need to do hannah you you need to add lydia's mom

01:20:55 - 01:21:01 | Speaker 3:

and you guys need to be snap friends oh my god like yeah right you guys can you guys can work

01:21:01 - 01:21:19 | Speaker 5:

that out lydia will uh share is it okay uh lydia's mom if she shares oh you're sure okay you guys can become the nicest things like i'm glad it was actually her i just didn't know at first if it was really her you just thought lydia's mom was some way of a porn site to try to get at you

01:21:19 - 01:21:49 | Speaker 2:

shauna uh last call from you what's going on um i deleted my mom off snapchat after about a week of her having it because it was the most annoying thing in the world because because she was like commenting on every first of all me and my mom barely like talked but then when she got snapchat i was hearing from her about 20 times a day oh what did you have for dinner i saw on snapchat Can I have some? What's going on? Oh, I like this. It was annoying.

01:21:49 - 01:21:52 | Speaker 5:

But it's your mom. You guys are being brought together.

01:21:53 - 01:21:55 | Speaker 2:

It doesn't matter. Don't be annoying.

01:21:57 - 01:22:10 | Speaker 4:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVPS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning live.

01:22:13 - 01:23:09 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning. Paying your bills about an hour or so from now will kick off. Get ready to win $1,000 13 times a day. You can win on Channel 955, 104.5 SNX, and 92.5 KISS FM. So be listening. We were just talking about Lydia, who answers your phones at 844-MOJO-LIVE and calls you on your text too and comments to you on your text at 95500. You can bring her in here for this particular topic. Okay, the topic is, is it okay to date them? And I don't know, is this somebody's sloppy seconds? I mean, comments from you guys after you hear her story. So tell us about this friend and tell us about this guy.

01:23:09 - 01:24:01 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so about a year ago, me and my best friend were out getting coffee and we ran into a mutual friend of ours and it turns out she was meeting a guy on a date and so we were just kind of watching from afar and I was telling my friend I'm like this guy's actually pretty good looking. Well flash forward to a couple days ago I got a text from a guy and he texts me and he goes hey this is Kevin and I didn't reply for about like 20 minutes and I waited it out because I was like I don't know kevin and then he texted again because i think he got worried like he was like oh she doesn't know who this is he's like i got your number from our friend sam who got it from a mutual friend and then he named my friend off and i was like oh okay that that's interesting so i'm guessing things didn't work out because i haven't talked to that mutual friend in a while but i i don't know is this something that like i can pursue or is it wrong so this was the guy yeah that you saw

01:24:01 - 01:24:06 | Speaker 5:

that you saw your friend with yeah so this guy this guy kevin was dating your friend yeah so he

01:24:06 - 01:24:11 | Speaker 1:

was out he was going on dates with her but i'm guessing it didn't go far like i haven't really

01:24:11 - 01:24:17 | Speaker 5:

heard okay but and he got your number from that friend or a different person so my friend told

01:24:17 - 01:24:24 | Speaker 1:

her that i thought the guy was cute so then he texted me so she she essentially kind of hooked

01:24:24 - 01:24:28 | Speaker 5:

us up i guess things but she didn't specifically give the number she doesn't know that this guy

01:24:28 - 01:24:33 | Speaker 1:

called you no she knows she knows yeah so my god was just passing him on to me do friends do this

01:24:33 - 01:24:58 | Speaker 5:

do friends have you ever so here's the thing have you ever dated someone and it didn't work out with you and them you just didn't for some reason connect and you just said i've got someone perfect for you and i and you give the the number to somebody else oh that's like that's kind of like a new dating service. That's like a new way to do the dating. It's

01:24:58 - 01:25:00 | Speaker 2:

friends dating. There's a couple events

01:25:00 - 01:25:01 | Speaker 3:

I would do it, too.

01:25:03 - 01:25:07 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you almost have to watch out, right? Does this friend like you? Does Sam like you?

01:25:08 - 01:25:09 | Speaker 2:

I kind of.

01:25:09 - 01:25:10 | Speaker 1:

So does Sam?

01:25:10 - 01:25:11 | Speaker 3:

She's a, okay.

01:25:11 - 01:25:22 | Speaker 2:

I think it's very much fair game because she's the one saying maybe Lydia is a better fit than I was, but it all depends on how you feel about it. Because if you're super awkward and uncomfortable about it, obviously don't do it.

01:25:22 - 01:25:28 | Speaker 1:

And actually tell everybody again how you know this girl. What do you know her from?

01:25:28 - 01:25:41 | Speaker 3:

So I know her from Bible study. oh really yeah but why didn't she want him yeah you got to ask that question that's it that is a good question because he's cute he has a good job and actually when i looked him up on facebook he

01:25:41 - 01:25:57 | Speaker 1:

went to saint mary's and i thought of you mojo oh yeah yeah saint mary's in orchard lake yeah right by uh i live not that far from there um so he's a good guy if you went to say no i don't know if all saint mary's guys are good guys yeah the red flag is if this friend who although she's

01:25:57 - 01:26:03 | Speaker 2:

a bible study friend there's no way there's no way some people just don't have a spark they don't

01:26:03 - 01:26:23 | Speaker 1:

have a chemistry maybe that was the case for her so yeah i don't know um would you take somebody's sloppy seconds would you do that if you were some somebody that was single and looking for a date um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 katie um yes i don't think it's sloppy seconds um so what

01:26:23 - 01:26:48 | Speaker 5:

happened with my son is his best friend went on a tinder date with this girl and they're at dinner and they realized that they were not compatible and he said to her he said hey i think i know somebody who you would get along with really well so he introduced her to my son and they ended up getting married and they have two beautiful little babies oh my gosh on the date

01:26:48 - 01:27:32 | Speaker 1:

he stopped in the middle of the date and he said i think i know somebody better for you yeah okay that is like the sweetest thing ever that should be a movie that's made but that would be what's happening in lydia's case but do we don't well that they know we know that they went out with each other but do we know that did they go out with each other i don't know like did they she went back into the other room to go answer the phones lydia lydia uh did sam bang kevin not to my knowledge okay would she tell you the truth on that yeah i think she would okay because if here's the thing it's not sloppy seconds unless if they didn't at least kiss okay it's like in that case with the mom calling us uh rachel what's up it's mojo in the morning

01:27:32 - 01:28:17 | Speaker 6:

so i think some women are just genuine enough to care about their friends and if something didn't work out for them just for they didn't mesh well they just knew it wasn't going to work but you know it would work for somebody else they'll just say hey this you know this person would really be well for you you guys would really work out well i've done that for a friend and they're married they've been married for like eight years now did you guys actually fool around though no no not at all okay then it's fine that it was not gonna work um we just had different personalities and i just said he's a great guy but this is just not who i picture myself because i

01:28:17 - 01:28:38 | Speaker 1:

would have a hard time as a guy because i'd be thinking about my friend uh having kissed or fooled around with them yeah you know what i mean like i don't know if girl do women do that do you guys do that if you know somebody had sex with the person that you are going out on a date with do you guys then sit there and think about uh-oh and like you can actually visualize them together

01:28:39 - 01:28:40 | Speaker 2:

Unfortunately, yeah.

01:28:40 - 01:28:42 | Speaker 1:

You do? Yeah. It's human, right? What's up, Michelle?

01:28:44 - 01:28:44 | Speaker 2:

Hi.

01:28:44 - 01:28:45 | Speaker 4:

How are you guys? Good morning.

01:28:45 - 01:28:46 | Speaker 1:

We're all right. What's going on?

01:28:47 - 01:29:28 | Speaker 4:

Good. Well, first time caller, long time listener. Yes. But I was just listening to this conversation. I'm almost embarrassed that this is my first time calling and why. But when you hear somebody passing somebody off on you, that's not always a good thing. because for example i had somebody that i was kind of seeing and he became like a really intense stage five clinger and the only way that i could get him kind of away was by passing him off to another girl that i was like this one seems good but it really wasn't because they were a good fit for each other it was because i just really needed to pass them off

01:29:28 - 01:29:41 | Speaker 1:

That was a little evil. That was a little...

01:29:41 - 01:29:47 | Speaker 4:

Well, I mean, he was really intense. He, like, followed me to Meijer. I don't even know if you guys know what Meijer is over there.

01:29:47 - 01:29:50 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. Oh, my God. No, tell me more.

01:29:51 - 01:29:53 | Speaker 4:

I don't know what I'm talking about.

01:29:53 - 01:29:54 | Speaker 1:

No, that's all right.

01:29:55 - 01:30:04 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, he, like, followed me to a store. so and was like I see you and that was the type of guy okay wait that is super creepy and that's scary because

01:30:04 - 01:30:09 | Speaker 6:

meyer's such a big place it could be he could be anywhere right yeah it was probably one of the

01:30:09 - 01:30:13 | Speaker 4:

creepiest encounters i ever had and then i was like oh i have this friend alissa i think you

01:30:13 - 01:30:22 | Speaker 6:

guys really well or alissa do you know if alissa ever had the creepiness come on to her no she

01:30:22 - 01:30:26 | Speaker 4:

liked him she was into it so it worked out for her you know what they didn't get married or

01:30:26 - 01:30:39 | Speaker 6:

anything they broke up eventually but one person's trash is another person's treasure or one person's creepy is another person's i don't know uh blair what's happening hi hi yeah so um i started dating

01:30:39 - 01:30:50 | Speaker 5:

one of my former best friend's exes like we were still best friends when he and i started dating and now we're married and before i started dating him i was dating his best friend

01:30:50 - 01:30:55 | Speaker 3:

wait this is real confusing i gotta write that down

01:30:55 - 01:31:00 | Speaker 6:

you guys all have like this uh little love triangle thing that was going on

01:31:00 - 01:31:25 | Speaker 5:

yeah her and i aren't friends anymore but um his best friend the one that i dated was the best man in our wedding and you're no longer friends with her because he was cheating wasn't he with you no no he wasn't cheating they actually broke up i think it was like a month and a half before he and i started dating and he was like really devastated about it and then throughout like trying to get him through that him and i became

01:31:25 - 01:31:30 | Speaker 6:

best friends and realized that we wanted so why do you guys no longer talk why is she so upset with

01:31:30 - 01:31:45 | Speaker 5:

you oh we were um in jr otc in high school together and she was like our battalion commander and she completely disregarded rotc her senior year okay so there's okay there's it's okay

01:31:45 - 01:31:48 | Speaker 6:

It had nothing to do with that. Yeah, it had nothing to do with it. I still blame Meyer. I don't know why I still blame Meyer, though. Yes.

01:31:50 - 01:31:53 | Speaker 2:

Meyer is, if she was really from here, she would pluralize it.

01:31:53 - 01:32:16 | Speaker 6:

I love, by the way, when somebody doesn't know, like, because we are on three different cities for those listeners that are listening on the iHeartRadio app, and they don't know if each city has it. Yeah. And they'll do something as obvious as that. You know, like, they'll do the Meyer thing, but it'd be like, there's this place called McDonald's. I don't know if you've ever been there. Do you have that? But it's unbelievable. They have these great French fries and everything.

And over the course of the last moments, we've been talking about moms and we've been talking about dating and we've been talking about all kinds of things that are happening with getting ready for summer and stuff. So go check out the podcast. Speaking of that, we're talking about moms. Shannon's mom has a better social life than Shannon.

01:33:19 - 01:34:04 | Speaker 3:

What does that say about me? I'm trying to get time with my mom right now is so tough because anytime I ask her to do something, she has plans. What did she do on Friday night? Went out with girlfriends. Saturday night, she was out bar hopping with girlfriends till one in the morning. Sunday, brunch with girlfriends. I'm talking to her last night. It's like 7.04. I'm in my pajamas and slippers and ready to go to bed and she's like I'm just getting ready to go out I'm like this is sad it is really sad that my mom's social life is busier than mine and I know honestly she deserves it she you know she raised us and did a great job and this is her time it's just such a weird thing to experience as her daughter that she has more plans than I do

01:34:04 - 01:34:08 | Speaker 6:

Megan you can totally relate to this because I remember you one time said this about your dad

01:34:08 - 01:34:45 | Speaker 2:

my dad aka scott mick has the most thriving social life i've ever seen in my entire life and honestly it's quite upsetting um because that man will literally call me i'm like hey what are you doing i need some help with something he's like i'm out with so-and-so there's a live band it's really hard to hear you or how disrespectful was scott mick this past weekend we went out and i was out past nine o'clock and my dad was like wow this is pretty late for you disrespectful old man i'm youthful and very cool but not as cool as he is it's so funny because

01:34:45 - 01:34:54 | Speaker 3:

when my mom said she didn't get home till one in the morning megan on saturday i was like one in the morning i don't even know the last time i was out till one in the morning you know when i

01:34:54 - 01:35:29 | Speaker 6:

realized that that this becomes a problem is when you like have dates like I'll see you soon.

01:35:00 - 01:35:10 | Speaker 1:

new year's eve and you're in on new year's eve and your parents are out partying on new year's eve in a nice party but when it's every day of the week or every weekend yeah it gets to be even

01:35:10 - 01:35:26 | Speaker 3:

worse yeah it's depressing i was joking with my dad because i hate being a homeowner and i said how about i sell my home and i move back in with you and your apartment because i love his apartment he goes yeah i think i'd keep you up pretty late i was like oh you would you would um 844 mojo live

01:35:26 - 01:36:08 | Speaker 1:

844-665-6548 i'm just gonna throw this out there anyone listening who can relate to what shannon and megan just talked about their parent has a better social life than you do and are there any people because i'm i'm you know how they always tell you to manifest things yeah so i'm going to manifest a phone call is there anybody that lives with their parent and their parent brings home somebody from the bar and you've ever i just i because you know how we'll get calls sometimes and we'll always say oh here's the call of the topic the call of the hour yeah would it not be amazing if there is somebody that calls us up and goes yeah my mom goes out and parties all

01:36:08 - 01:36:15 | Speaker 3:

the time and the other night she ended up bringing some dude home or you know or something like that

01:36:15 - 01:36:59 | Speaker 1:

no like would it would it make you feel weird if that was the case you know oh that would be weird yeah yes yeah um 844 mojo live lydia grab those calls real quick i'm gonna take a break for one second and i want to say hi to somebody i'm doing an event on 420 no it's not it's not 420 where we're gonna end up you know all getting high together like megan normally does on 420 but Can you do me a favor, Megan? Could you be responsible on 420? And could you help out the great kids of the city of Pontiac that have an awesome thing in their life? I know you don't. You want to just go home and you just want to be baked all day, don't you?

01:36:59 - 01:37:08 | Speaker 3:

I just want you to know he's asking me to be sober for children. My two least favorite things. But if you ask nicely, I guess I have to do it, right?

01:37:08 - 01:37:31 | Speaker 1:

I have a person that will get you sober really fast when I tell you that the sheriff is on the phone with us right now. My very good friend, Sheriff Bouchard from Oakland County is on with us right now. And I'm going to be hosting with Sheriff Bouchard a great event. It is a golf tournament at Topgolf in Auburn Hills. Sheriff Bouchard, welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. How are you, my friend?

01:37:32 - 01:37:42 | Speaker 2:

Hey, I am awesome. Thank you for having me. Thanks for doing what you do. Thanks for supporting the kids of Sheriff Pal and all the programs that it provides.

01:37:43 - 01:38:00 | Speaker 1:

You know what? Sheriff Pal is an awesome thing. But before we get to the Sheriff Pal and talk about this great event, can you talk to all the stoners out there like Megan who can just for a moment take a little bit of time from their holiday of 420 and be with us from 6 till 9 o'clock at Topgolf in Auburn Hills?

01:38:01 - 01:38:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah. For real, Megan. I mean, there's 365 days. You can take one off that everyday activity, right? Come on.

01:38:09 - 01:38:10 | Speaker 3:

Don't be reasonable.

01:38:13 - 01:38:44 | Speaker 1:

Can I tell you that this is such a cool organization? So SheriffPal.com is the website. If you're somebody that loves to golf or you're somebody that loves to just have fun and Topgolf is one of those places you've always wanted to just go hang out at, do it for a good cause. Sheriff Bouchard has SheriffPal along with the great people of the Oakland County Sheriff's Department. They provide great activities for kids in the Pontiac area. How long has the Oakland County Sheriff's Department been the police of Pontiac?

01:38:45 - 01:39:40 | Speaker 2:

Oh, gosh, over a decade now. Yeah. And that's one of the things that we did when we assumed operations there. You know, Pontiac had been buffeted by the economic woes that hit so many communities across the country in the downturn of 2008, etc. and they lost almost every program that they had athletic and mentoring for kids and it's our belief that every child regardless of where they live or what economic status they are should have mentoring and athletic opportunities and and so that's why we launched with all of our partners in the community share pal to recreate those opportunities to be mentored to have golf uh you know as one of the choices but so many other choices little league baseball yeah yeah track soccer cheerleading yeah basketball yeah there's a ton of things that they do they even honestly

01:39:40 - 01:39:45 | Speaker 1:

they even do uh you know just straight on you know the mentoring of just being a big brother

01:39:45 - 01:39:50 | Speaker 3:

or big sister so so important to a lot of these kids all right so we need to fill this up so

01:39:50 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 1:

top golf i talked to mandy yesterday and she demanded that we put out the call we're looking for people who are willing if you want to just make a donation we're cool with

01:40:00 - 01:40:57 | Speaker 2:

that but we want to have people that come and golf and if you're somebody who would buy a bay to golf with your friends go to sheriffpal.com that's sheriffpal.com and look for mojo's top golf classic hackers and wackers event on thursday april the 20th at top golf in auburn hills the other things that we're looking for too is maybe some people that just want to be an individual to golf you can come in and sign up for that um or if you in your business have like really cool things that you would like to maybe donate to sheriff pal like we're going to be doing a silent auction uh sheriff bouchard and some of the cool things that would be awesome if people would donate is you got a pair of tickets to an event coming up like a taylor swift concert or or you know a drake concert or you got you know sports tickets whatever tickets to go to yeah see the Lions play. So go to sheriffpal.com and you can get in contact with them there.

01:40:58 - 01:41:11 | Speaker 1:

And let me say this too because it is at Topgolf. I am not a golfer. I have stepped foot on a golf course one time and after the first toll I was done. It is so much fun. You do not have to know what you're doing at all. Just come and hang out. A bunch of us will be there so it'll be fun.

01:41:12 - 01:41:14 | Speaker 2:

It is going to be a great time. Sheriff Bouchard, are you a golfer?

01:41:16 - 01:41:56 | Speaker 3:

You know, I used to golf quite a bit but when the kids got a little bigger and got busier I had to give it up because it was such a time demand. Lots of fun, but I have not golfed consistently for many, many years just because I've been too busy. And this is, as you said, a great spot, golfer or not, to just have fun. Actually, my son-in-law had his pre-wedding party for all of the folks in his group at that very same place. And it was a blast. And if you want to make that donation, it's tax-deductible. It can take corporate. There's so many ways to participate. And the hackers and whackers and even puffers like.

01:41:59 - 01:42:00 | Speaker 4:

Sheriff, I love you.

01:42:04 - 01:42:07 | Speaker 2:

Sheriffpal.com. Sheriff Bouchard, great to have you on.

01:42:08 - 01:42:15 | Speaker 3:

Hey, we appreciate you and your whole group and everything that you do for the community. It's really appreciated.

01:42:15 - 01:42:32 | Speaker 2:

Thank you so much. And thanks for thinking of us, too. You know, with the craziness of this past week, he sent a really nice text to me just saying he was thinking of us. All right. So let's grab these calls. Here we go. My parents party more than me. Erica, it's not your mom or your dad. Who is it?

01:42:33 - 01:42:34 | Speaker 6:

My grandmother.

01:42:35 - 01:42:36 | Speaker 2:

She's got a better social life than you do?

01:42:37 - 01:42:58 | Speaker 6:

Absolutely. She just turned 80. But basically my whole life, she's always been super active. like she's been playing bridge once a week with the same lady since 1972 like when i was a kid she was in a bowling league and then in more recent years like right before she retired she was always hitting happy hour at like the local bar with a couple of her co-workers so

01:42:58 - 01:43:18 | Speaker 2:

isn't it unbelievable she can actually happy hour like you would think that grandma would be eating before happy hour you know what i mean like most grandmas like eat at four o'clock in the afternoon not drinking at five to seven she was around when happy hour was invented exactly well maybe She was actually pre-Happy Hour, Mike. That's possible. She's 80 years old. Morgan, what's going on?

01:43:18 - 01:43:31 | Speaker 5:

Hey, good morning. Good morning. My mom, she is out every weekend with her sister, out to the bars and dancing. And I sadly am at home with a four-month-old right now. So my social life is nothing. And she's making up for it every weekend.

01:43:31 - 01:43:34 | Speaker 2:

And do you love it or does it bother you?

01:43:34 - 01:43:43 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no. She can go out. She gets to have fun, live it up. She's 60. And if that's what you get to look forward to, then why not? You know what? That's true. That's the thing you got to look at.

01:43:43 - 01:43:51 | Speaker 2:

Look at this. That could be you one day. What's up? How you doing, Charlotte? Hi. Hi. Who's partying more than you?

01:43:53 - 01:44:07 | Speaker 7:

My dad. He always has friends over every single day after work. And then most of the time, he goes out to bars. And every single time without fail, I swear, he brings the girl home and he calls me about it.

01:44:07 - 01:44:15 | Speaker 2:

I told you we were going to get it. Wow. And does he introduce you to the girl Or does he do the sneak in Sneak out

01:44:15 - 01:44:26 | Speaker 7:

So I don't live with him He actually lives in Ohio But I only know because he calls me All the time to tell me about it Like you know what I might as well just marry her I'm lonely

01:44:26 - 01:44:46 | Speaker 2:

True love That is awesome Man thank you for the call Charlotte If he's in Ohio Can we maybe see if any of these girls have friends for scott mick for megan's dad yeah are you okay with that megan you laugh but i really

01:44:46 - 01:44:53 | Speaker 4:

need him out of my life a little bit he's getting a little too involved he needs a hobby hey stephanie

01:44:53 - 01:45:23 | Speaker 7:

what's going on hey um so my parents are notorious for partying harder than i i am or than i do but we just got back from nashville yesterday so i was able to redeem myself but we went to nashville for my 21st birthday like five years ago and i had to tap out and go back to the hotel room before my parents did i told them i literally i literally needed to go sit in a dark hotel room with the air conditioning blasting and just no noise for

01:45:23 - 01:45:31 | Speaker 3:

at least an hour before i could go back out again it's true i've been out with my mom before and we've had to cut her off and tell the bartender if she comes up and asks for like a pineapple

01:45:31 - 01:45:44 | Speaker 7:

upside down cake shot just give her pineapple juice at this point yes yes literally like two days ago that was my daddy like two days ago yeah that's so funny by the way would it bother you if

01:45:44 - 01:45:53 | Speaker 5:

all of a sudden she started noticing it was like there's no alcohol in this thing my dad would he would notice right away he would figure it out thanks for the call appreciate it all right what

01:45:53 - 01:46:03 | Speaker 3:

you got in the dirty coming up here next so we will obviously recap everything that went down with former president donald trump yesterday and huge huge news if you are a fan of adele i'll

01:46:03 - 01:46:17 | Speaker 5:

fill you in coming up in the dirty and we have our disney trip giveaway coming up next so get your phones out get ready to call in and win mojo in the mornings dirty on the 30 all right shannon

01:46:17 - 01:46:25 | Speaker 3:

what you got in this hour is dirty focus because jason bateman is on good morning america right Now you know how I feel about him. And he's in that new Air movie. Oh, yes. Yes.

01:46:25 - 01:46:26 | Speaker 5:

I guess it's really good. Yes.

01:46:26 - 01:46:27 | Speaker 3:

Mike, did you see it?

01:46:27 - 01:46:28 | Speaker 5:

It is very, very, very good.

01:46:29 - 01:46:29 | Speaker 3:

Did you see it, though?

01:46:30 - 01:46:41 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Yeah, yeah. I went and saw it Monday. Oh. Does he have a big role in it, or is it Matt Damon that's got the big role? No, him and Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have huge roles in it.

01:46:41 - 01:46:44 | Speaker 4:

Can I ask a question? Do you seriously never see Michael Jordan in the movie?

01:46:45 - 01:46:58 | Speaker 5:

No, you hear his voice, and I don't even think it's his real voice. You see clips from him, and then you see the back of his head. You see his parents. Oh, really? Are you supposed to say that? Or is that like a giveaway? I don't think so. Okay. He's not spoiling anything, right?

01:46:59 - 01:47:30 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so everybody's talking about former President Donald Trump and what went down yesterday. He did plead not guilty to 34 felony accounts. All allegations relating to his lawyer, Michael Cohen, paying hush money to that adult film star, Stormy Daniels, before the 2016 election. And essentially, exactly what we said was going to happen, happened. And he entered that lower Manhattan courthouse. He was fingerprinted, informed of the charges against him. This is actually a reporter, one of, I believe, two reporters who was allowed inside the courtroom as this was happening.

01:47:30 - 01:47:42 | Speaker 1:

He was not dominating in the courtroom. He was not yelling out. He was reserved. He was calm. And he only answered when it appeared that perhaps he had to, as directly spoken to by the judge.

01:47:42 - 01:47:59 | Speaker 5:

They said that the Secret Service kind of leading the way made for a more calm Trump. Yeah. Because they said normally he would probably have been, you know, boisterous and loud and kind of antagonistic. And they say that that's probably the reason why the judge did not give a gag order like the, you know.

01:47:59 - 01:48:04 | Speaker 3:

Like was rumored could have happened. And also he did speak last night at Mar-a-Lago.

01:48:04 - 01:48:14 | Speaker 2:

Everybody said this is not really an indictment. There's nothing here. My lawyers came to me and they said there's nothing here. They're not even saying what you did. Yeah, more on that next hour.

01:48:15 - 01:49:19 | Speaker 3:

This would be huge if it's true. Adele has reportedly recorded an entire brand new album and is planning on releasing it in just a couple of weeks. Okay, and it's just like very hush-hush, if it's true, again. And here's the thing. I mean, she's known for these like big heartbreak ballads. And people are telling me that all of the songs on this album are very upbeat, very positive, very optimistic. And the reason for that, when she was recording this rumored new album, her life was transforming and changing big time because she went from rock bottom, essentially. I mean, she was getting divorced to being madly in love. And so she wants the world to know it through these new songs. And so apparently this album is very much a reflection of that. I have no other details than it could be happening again in the next couple of weeks. We'll get it. So we'll have to bug Tony and see if he's heard anything about that. Chris Pratt first saw his now wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, in church. actually got up the courage to go over and ask her out. That's how that all happened.

01:49:19 - 01:49:35 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, we did. We met at a church, which is like, you kind of don't want to be like, whoa, who's that? At church? You know what I mean? But I was kind of sneaking some glances, and I'm like, who is that? I wonder who that is. Anyway, what am I doing? Come on, I'm broken. Help me. So who's that? The myth. Yeah, so we kind of hit it off.

01:49:35 - 01:49:39 | Speaker 5:

The myth that church and grocery stores are the places to meet people? That's amazing.

01:49:40 - 01:49:43 | Speaker 4:

Don't they belong to the church that sets up celebrities like Scientology?

01:49:43 - 01:49:45 | Speaker 5:

Are they Scientologists? No, they're not Scientologists.

01:49:45 - 01:49:50 | Speaker 4:

It's like Scientology. What church do they go to? I believe they're in a Hillsong branch.

01:49:51 - 01:49:51 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay.

01:49:52 - 01:49:55 | Speaker 4:

Same as Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber. Yeah, yeah.

01:49:56 - 01:50:20 | Speaker 3:

He did have a great analogy, he said, for knowing when... love is right it made sense you know it's like when you're you know you're doing a puzzle and then you there's a piece and you're like i'm certain that's the piece and you like kind of jam it and it's like it looks like it should be the piece i'm right and then you're like no i mean is it oh it's that one like it just fits together you're like oh that's okay it fits because it's the piece that was made to fit there that felt like a couple i like them a lot speaking of

01:50:20 - 01:50:37 | Speaker 1:

celebrity romances looks like bad bunny and kendall jenner are still going strong they were We photographed riding horses in Hidden Hills, California on a little afternoon date. At one point, they were on the same horse, like taking selfies. But you could see pictures on the page at modewinwining.com.

01:50:37 - 01:50:50 | Speaker 2:

I would love if I could get Chelsea on the same horse as me. I think we've gone horseback riding one time as a family in our lives, and I had to have a Clydesdale basically hold me. She would have been so freaked out on that one.

01:50:51 - 01:51:47 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, this is a really sweet story. I love stories like this. A 73-year-old New Jersey man said he received a kidney from his Uber driver, who was a complete stranger. Wow. This guy's name is William Sumial. He was catching an Uber from a medical appointment, actually, from the doctor home. It was about a 40-minute drive. He told the driver, 33-year-old Tim Letts, that he was on the transplant list for a kidney after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes about 30 years ago. And that's when the driver told him, this is a God thing. God must have put you in my car. And when the driver pulled up in front of this guy's home, he said, if you will take my name and number, I would like to donate a kidney to you. And sure enough, the guy was a match, kept on his promise, donated his kidney to this random man who was in the back of his Uber. And they still keep in touch now through phone calls, text messages, emails. Just a great story.

01:51:47 - 01:52:02 | Speaker 2:

And if you were listening earlier this morning, maybe not quite as much as a kidney, but your fiance, Wes, had an Uber driver help dig through the landscaping here at the radio station to try to find your fiance's key.

01:52:02 - 01:52:05 | Speaker 1:

Not the same, but you know it, Wes really appreciated it.

01:54:57 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 3:

I am a disgrace to the dean.

01:55:00 - 01:55:32 | Speaker 1:

detroithomeopener.com I think this is the case, Samantha. You tell me if this is the case. I think that the old English D makes a girl look hotter. Would you agree or disagree? Oh, hell, heck yeah. Yeah, you can say hell. We're that kind of show. You can say that. The old English D, a girl in a Detroit Tigers hat, I mean, you can go from a 7 to a 10 wearing one of those things. It doesn't work necessarily for the guys as much as it does for the ladies.

01:55:32 - 01:55:36 | Speaker 2:

Do you have your hat? Are you ready? I do have. The only thing I have is a hat.

01:55:37 - 01:55:38 | Speaker 1:

Well, she admitted yesterday.

01:55:38 - 01:55:44 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to be wearing clothes. It's pink, right? I have plenty of shirts if you need to borrow one. There you go. I'll meet you before.

01:55:45 - 01:55:48 | Speaker 1:

Let me borrow a shirt. Who are you bringing with you? Who are you going to take with you?

01:55:50 - 01:55:53 | Speaker 2:

It's actually my boyfriend's birthday, so I'm going to bring him. Oh, perfect.

01:55:53 - 01:55:55 | Speaker 1:

Good for you. All right. Well, have fun. What's his name?

01:55:56 - 01:55:57 | Unknown:

Alex.

01:55:57 - 01:57:33 | Speaker 1:

Alex, happy birthday, buddy. Have a great birthday. Good luck. And Tigers on a two-game winning streak. All right, it is Mojo in the morning. I feel like there's a lot of people that will say that they do this just like I do this. And I kind of caught myself doing it. And when I did, I thought to myself, oh, my God, this is like weird. Um, have you ever noticed how you are so caught up in people's life by following them on social media that when you haven't seen them for years or maybe you haven't even seen them face to face ever in your life, you know so much about them through their social media that you just start talking about everything that's happening in their life. like you guys saw each other yesterday so this happened to me uh yesterday i ended up bumping into an old friend that i haven't seen in 10 years and since i haven't seen them in 10 years they have been married they've had a kid and they've been divorced i've never met the daughter before in my life but i pretty much knew everything about this daughter matter of fact i was talking to her and her child um because it's their child's like almost uh what nine or something like years old i was talking to him like i'd be talking to shannon or megan having a conversation yeah and i even threw out there oh my god i love your red uh chevy blazer that you just ended up going to get my son just got the same exact one and the reason why i saw her post that she got a red chevy

01:57:33 - 01:57:38 | Speaker 2:

blazer and she ended up buying it recently i know it is kind of weird it's so wild how social media

01:57:38 - 01:57:52 | Speaker 1:

has pretty much put us in so many people's lives. And I bet this happens to you a lot. Do you have listeners that come up to you all the time because you do a lot of social Instagram posts? Do you have a lot of people that pretty much know, like they know your mirror, right? Don't they?

01:57:52 - 01:57:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:57:53 - 01:57:54 | Speaker 1:

That mirror that you always take pictures with?

01:57:54 - 01:57:55 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah.

01:57:55 - 01:57:57 | Speaker 1:

Or they'll know things about your kids.

01:57:57 - 01:58:46 | Speaker 2:

But that is so, like I love when people say, I feel like I know everything about you, but I've never even, this is my first time meeting you because I know, like I appreciate that they listen to the show Or, you know, I appreciate that they take the time to watch all of this stuff on my social media. I truly am friends with a girl. Her name's Kelly and she lives in Nashville. And we've been friends for since 2005. I've never met her face to face. We actually called her on the air one time about a random topic. But I call her. I FaceTime her. We DM. We text. I have never met her face to face. it's i'm i quote unquote met her through an ex of mine um she dated him after i dated him and then when they broke up we kind of you know got together and that's how we met each other but

01:58:46 - 01:58:58 | Speaker 1:

we've never actually hung out before ever is it kind of awkward that you have no idea like what she truly is about like i know that you know her from facetiming but do you think that there's

01:58:58 - 01:59:07 | Speaker 2:

anything that she's hiding because i instantly go for the bed no i and we we've for years now plans like i'm gonna go to nashville and spend a weekend and got to hang out with her but

01:59:07 - 01:59:13 | Speaker 1:

would you feel comfortable enough to stay at her place yes absolutely really yeah and you've never

01:59:13 - 01:59:17 | Speaker 2:

met her face to face no oh my god but i've talked to her sister i've talked to her mom

01:59:17 - 02:00:00 | Speaker 1:

but i've never met these people but you've never talked to them face to face also no you talked to them because they were at her place or something yep um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is there anybody else listening to the show right now who is a friend they call them a friend but they've never met face to face has is you know is that uh is that something that you got going on in your life right now um and would you feel comfortable enough letting them stay at your house or you staying with them because you really don't know what they're all about and i mean listen i'm not saying that just because you know people by seeing them face to face that you know what they're all about a lot of times you get fooled all the time but yeah i think it's so funny that in this this

02:00:00 - 02:00:58 | Speaker 2:

This particular, you know, girl that I ended up running into, I think it's so funny that I do this even with like sports figures, television people, other radio people like I will sit there and, you know, I don't know. To be openly honest with you, people think that we know all these celebrities and stuff. I'm the first one to tell you this. I don't know any celebrities. I mean, it may be like a person or two, but people automatically just assume that we have, you know, Kid Rock and Eminem and, you know, at our kid's birthday. Yeah. That Jared Goff is hanging out at my house on Thanksgiving and stuff like that. That would be cool. But I will say this. If Jared Goff was ever around me, I know enough about him to be able to start a conversation. Oh, Jared, I might be a little stalkerish. there might be something kind of you know scary going on if you ever encounter me out in public

02:00:58 - 02:01:38 | Speaker 4:

i've met mine once but we talk every single day and i've only met him once but i've talked to him every day for probably man four years now who is it his name's jacob i love him he's the best and he literally texts me all day how did you meet him or not meet him instagram okay all right i met him and his husband this past summer he actually met my dad and ellen and then we've never seen each other since we just met one time and that was it wow yeah like 20 minutes it was just saying it's i can't believe we're finally seeing each other in person and then never did again were you disappointed when you saw him absolutely not i'm obsessed with him he

02:01:38 - 02:02:04 | Speaker 6:

knows it though christy what's up hi mojo um i've been friends with this dude from omegle that i met when i was like 12 he's a year younger than me so i call him my little brother but now i'm getting married and he's getting married we haven't met before but we're both going to each other's wedding oh my gosh so that so that's the first time you're gonna meet yes that's the first time we're gonna meet and that's the first time he's gonna in person meet my fiance and that's

02:02:04 - 02:02:09 | Speaker 2:

first time in person i'm gonna meet his fiance how do your fiance's feel about you guys being

02:02:09 - 02:02:22 | Speaker 6:

distance friends um it's not weird we kind of grew up together when we were both going through it you know that's why little kids go on omegle it's for friends what is what word are you saying

02:02:22 - 02:02:39 | Speaker 4:

omegle what is that it's a website kind of like chat roulette oh okay yeah yeah where you like are set up with strangers through video cams oh are you on it megan i used to be a lot i wasn't on there looking for friends though i was looking for yeah junk okay did you guys ever have a pen

02:02:39 - 02:02:49 | Speaker 3:

pal back in the day oh yeah that's what this kind of reminds me of i had one friends with this person that you you never ever end up meeting he was in prison and we're not that i'm just kidding

02:02:49 - 02:02:54 | Speaker 4:

remember megan did you do that in school though no have pen pals we did prison pen pal no we did

02:02:54 - 02:03:12 | Speaker 2:

the honest one that shannon's talking about we did we were we had to write to a kid that was in costa rica that was catholic because we went to a catholic school and do all that stuff yeah so we had that that as uh kids but megan has had a prison pen palette more than one like constantly

02:03:12 - 02:03:28 | Speaker 4:

photos that's what i know i've really made it is when an inmate pays to send you photos would you let them stay at your house absolutely not cody what's going on cody uh yeah i uh i uh i've you

02:03:28 - 02:03:42 | Speaker 7:

PlayStation 3 came out years ago, and I met this guy on there. We were playing Grand Theft Auto, and then we've played Grand Theft Auto and Call of Duty for many, many years, and we've never met. We've always talked about meeting, but we haven't.

02:03:42 - 02:03:45 | Speaker 3:

That's a big one, I bet, people who meet on, like gamers.

02:03:46 - 02:03:59 | Speaker 1:

Do you know what? I play a lot with guys that I guess I don't even know their real name. I just know their gamer tags, and I've never – we talk all the time. Some of them listen to the show, but some of them don't, And we just talk about our everyday life. I never thought about it.

02:03:59 - 02:04:04 | Speaker 2:

Cody, you don't want to meet them face-to-face because you want to play against them, and you can't do that in a two-player game.

02:04:05 - 02:04:07 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, for sure.

02:04:07 - 02:04:11 | Speaker 2:

Holly, what's going on? Hello, Holly.

02:04:11 - 02:04:12 | Speaker 5:

Did you say Holly?

02:04:12 - 02:04:12 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:04:13 - 02:04:13 | Speaker 5:

Oh, hey.

02:04:13 - 02:04:15 | Speaker 2:

Sorry. Is that you, Holly? How are you doing?

02:04:16 - 02:04:17 | Speaker 5:

Yes, I'm good. How are you?

02:04:17 - 02:04:19 | Speaker 2:

We're doing all right. What's going on?

02:04:20 - 02:04:31 | Speaker 5:

I had a friend on Facebook for about five years who I had never met until one day. um she asked me if i would be interested in meeting her brother-in-law and now i'm married

02:04:31 - 02:04:38 | Speaker 2:

to him oh my god so you never met her face to face but you just got set up to marry her brother

02:04:38 - 02:04:52 | Speaker 5:

her brother-in-law she asked if i if i'd be interested in going on a double date with him after five years of talking to her on facebook and i decided up with that's wow did it off and

02:04:52 - 02:05:00 | Speaker 2:

got married that's by the way somebody that you really trusted you really trusted because you trusted them to set you

02:05:00 - 02:05:20 | Speaker 3:

up on a date with somebody even though you don't even know you know what the air that they breathe smells like caitlin hello this is a wild one caitlin has a person that she's never met that she's friends with and they're in the same workplace yes we work together at one of the

02:05:20 - 02:06:08 | Speaker 4:

rocket companies for two years um she works in grand rapids and i work at the for detroit so we have never met before but same thing as Shannon we always FaceTime do like wine nights and know all of each other's dirty little secrets yeah you're two hours away why don't you guys get together I know she's even said like I have a lab and she's like oh my god you got to bring him to one of the Great Lakes we can hang out we can drink wine on the beach like I know but I just have never been out that way and then she has kids so she can't come down here but um yeah is it all started with a company chat um we're on the same team and i sent a broad city gift gift as a joke and she was like oh my god you watch broad city man this is wild you know

02:06:08 - 02:06:17 | Speaker 3:

what that's kind of cool so you have a co-worker you've never met your best friends you guys actually go to happy hour together but it's over to the phone while you're sitting in your place

02:06:17 - 02:06:24 | Speaker 5:

and she's sitting in her place wait they're broad city girls are you looking for a third oh yeah send me a DM

02:06:24 - 02:06:33 | Speaker 3:

oh my god that would be like the greatest star ever because you would have think about that you'd have Detroit for you Grand Rapids for her Toledo for Megan

02:06:33 - 02:06:40 | Speaker 4:

perfect I'm more of an Abby I think Megan's more of an Alana but I have no idea

02:06:40 - 02:06:43 | Speaker 3:

I've never watched Broad City that's honestly the best compliment

02:06:43 - 02:06:44 | Speaker 5:

I've ever gotten in my entire life

02:06:44 - 02:06:47 | Speaker 3:

what's Broad City on where can you get it

02:06:47 - 02:06:50 | Speaker 5:

well Hulu but it was a Comedy Central show it was on Comedy Central okay

02:06:50 - 02:07:00 | Speaker 3:

Whenever people throw references out from shows I mean I guess all I can think of is If nobody's ever watched like Friends When people would sit there and go I'm a Ross, I'm a Rachel

02:07:00 - 02:07:08 | Speaker 5:

I've talked about period pants on this show before And nobody laughed or got it And I was like I know somebody watched Broad City I know somebody got that reference

02:07:08 - 02:07:14 | Speaker 3:

Did you ever get her references on Broad City? Because honestly sometimes people just don't get Megan's regular references

02:07:14 - 02:07:21 | Speaker 5:

Megan? Oh yeah You're so disrespectful I know You're so disrespectful It's a hard week.

02:07:21 - 02:07:26 | Speaker 3:

I have nobody, nobody here, you know. All right, here we go.

online. MojoInTheMorning.com

02:12:34 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning heard weekday mornings on Channel 955 in Detroit, 104.5 SNX, Grand Rapids, Muskegon, and 92.5 KISS FM in Toledo. And of course, on the iHeartRadio app, you can listen to the show live or you can actually have our podcast as your option and listen anytime that you want to and be able to catch up on the show. There's a lot to catch up on this week, man. There's been so much that has been going on, and I appreciate everybody that's with us. I appreciate that. I really do. I can tell you this, that I know I speak for each and every one of us that are on the show and still here, you know, doing the show, that it's been a very, very difficult week. It has been an emotional week. It has been a week that, you know, you wonder sometimes why you get into a business like this. You wonder why you are somebody that, you know, has to get affected by this in the case of, you know, what happened to Spike. And I'm sure that he's, you know, thinking that. And he's got to be loving all of the comments that people are sending his way. um and all the you know great things that are are being said about him and um you know i i i would also uh probably uh uh think that uh you know it's flattering to know that there are people that uh that you know are hating on what's going on in the situation um but then there's also the fact that there's other lives that are affected by that, including the lives of each of the remaining people on the show and stuff like that. So I just say this to all, we hear you. We hear the text messages that are coming in. We hear the comments from the listeners that are on posts that are put on social media as well as some of the news stories that were out there. We hear you, we hear you, we hear you. and some of it does down.

02:15:00 - 02:15:41 | Speaker 5:

hurt us it did you know it hurts the this first off the thing the situation hurts us then it hurts us to you know to know that there's those that are like it should have been this person or they should have been this person or mojo's sucks and you know all this stuff and you know uh mojo's son is you know uh is horrible who's not even in here right now you know what i mean like he's in florida and stuff like that so he's getting uh getting attacked but i will say this to you um i am proud of each and every one of you guys on the show i'm really and i said this i think i've said it to you guys like five or six times am i being

02:15:41 - 02:16:17 | Speaker 2:

too cheerleader no honestly it's really nice and very needed because it's been just like you said it has been a rough a really rough couple of days because i i really mean it i know i know you do And I very much appreciate, too, there have been several listeners that have personally emailed, and I don't know if you guys are getting this, personally emailed or reached out on social media to say, we understand the situation sucks. The mean comments are not warranted. Please know you still have a lot of people that support you. And I have to tell you, those lift me up because it has been very hard. And I'm not going to sugarcoat that at all. It's been very hard.

02:16:17 - 02:16:47 | Speaker 1:

And I don't know if you guys, I talked to Moja about this yesterday. I don't know if you guys feel like this, too. i i just felt off just off like headspace wise you know listening back to the show i just felt off and it is hard when you when you know not to take away from what happened to spike because i mean that's way you know way different but hearing the comments and trying to be supportive on both ends is it's hard to just come back on here and and talk i don't know and i feel a part of it is

02:16:47 - 02:17:07 | Speaker 3:

like we need to be strong for each other too so it's like um I love obviously RuPaul's Drag Race but this reference will make sense one of my favorites is Jinx Monsoon and she always said it's water off a duck's back like water off a duck's back it's just gonna keep moving forward but sometimes it really does feel like you're hitting a wall and just to hear that we're doing

02:17:07 - 02:17:18 | Speaker 2:

okay is it's nice it's really nice right now so I really appreciate it Mojo yeah well I You offered to buy a Starbucks yesterday morning on the way in. Nobody took me up on it.

02:17:19 - 02:19:28 | Speaker 5:

He didn't offer me. You guys aren't here. I would have done it and had it. If I knew that they would have delivered it to your studios, I would have done the same exact thing. But the long and short of it, and our bosses probably, you know, they probably listen to it and they're like, why are you talking? But, I mean, it is no doubt that this is a very difficult situation. It also is no doubt that it's going to be difficult, I'm sure, for time to come, but it's also going to be something that we're going to get through. And the other thing that I'm going to say is that as people that have been in this business for a long time, we know that it's tough, but what makes it not so easy is the length of times that we've been together and the years. but we are truly you know a group of people that i you know i care for and i hate to see the the attacks um that are that that sometimes get made social media is a is a uh is a sucky thing um so um with that said i want to move on to another topic can i move on to something else can i do go to uh are you guys okay with that yes just checking everybody's feelings on this one to make sure that everybody's okay with this because i probably shouldn't have even done what i just did and i know that i'll probably you know be told by somebody that it was probably not a good idea but you know what honestly i have felt like for the longest time that if you can't talk about what's on your heart on the show and you can't talk about what's you know what's on your mind on the show then you know let's then just go be the other don't feel authentic the other morning shows anything we're doing or talking about let's let's be the morning shows down the down the dial you know um all right mojo in the morning show uh so megan has a friend who is dating what she what do you call this friend's uh person that she's dating i'm gonna try to sound like the drop

02:19:28 - 02:19:44 | Speaker 4:

uh douchebag that was a good attempt wow that really after the conversation we just had y'all really gonna leave me out to dry like that do you want to see how how it was you want to see

02:19:44 - 02:19:57 | Speaker 5:

if it was it even close all right hold on a second here let me get the douchebag uh drop because i've i kind of uh kind of gotten stale with my douchebag no that's not that one no no douchebag no there's

02:19:57 - 02:20:04 | Speaker 1:

a lot of douchebags out there no uh hold on Which one is the douchebag? Douchebag! It's that one, right?

02:20:05 - 02:20:10 | Speaker 3:

I did better than you did. There you go. Yeah, I did better than you did. He feels like a... Douchebag!

02:20:10 - 02:20:11 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, all right, go ahead.

02:20:12 - 02:22:23 | Speaker 3:

So you know how the big trend right now when it comes to bachelorette parties is like taking a trip somewhere and then going on theme for most of the nights. Whether that's dressing as the same outfit with a group or whatever it is. So my girlfriend is going to be a bridesmaid in a wedding. So they're planning this trip and she's buying some outfits now i need to preface this with saying i am not his biggest fan obviously i introduced him as the douchebag but i really do try not to i don't get involved i don't say my thoughts it's clear that we're not like super close but i'm not like you should leave this guy like i've always just been like you you do you you gotta learn from your own experiences like i can't tell you what to do no matter what i say it's not going to change it anyways but i do feel like he crossed the line when it came to this bachelorette party trip so she's buying her outfit she's planning it and one of them is super cute but a little bit more risque because you know what girls trip do you and he saw the outfit and here's where i got really upset it wasn't that he said i don't want you to wear it i i don't think you should wear it his words are you're not allowed to wear that oh thank you that was my immediate reaction and i i have a really hard time because i am a huge proponent of i'm watering my own grass i'm minding my own business i'm just out here to grow on my own but also i feel like i need to defend my girlfriends but i don't want to get involved in their really i'm not sure what i'm supposed to be doing because he really pissed me off by saying this this is like for me crossing a huge red flag like line in the sand not okay behavior did she have any reaction to it she's or was she just used to him saying stuff like that to her she should she said i don't think it's fair i think that they don't really have problems in their relationship i just don't like him but he's not like a bad guy he's just a douchebag um but this was the first time when i think he crossed a line that she didn't know how to handle it yeah right and for me i'm like leave him leave his ass pack up bye but she's more like well we don't really have issues i just don't like is this a common

02:22:23 - 02:22:33 | Speaker 1:

thing though that happens that's that's the thing it's like a one-time thing maybe there's something because if somebody says something one time and that's it then you gotta you gotta kind of almost

02:22:33 - 02:22:51 | Speaker 2:

do a little investigating or now that they're one step closer to getting married is he just feeling more comfortable showing his true colors and saying in in being somewhat controlling is what it sounds like to me that would make me very uneasy as a friend right but it's i'm also like a

02:22:51 - 02:23:04 | Speaker 3:

it's not well it's weird it's not like he cheated or he did something like he stole from you like it is just a comment but for me it's a that comment was too much that was enough to break

02:23:04 - 02:23:28 | Speaker 1:

up over but but just plain devil's advocate on this one because i would never tell chelsea what to wear because to be honest with me and with you if you see what i wear i should not give me giving fashion advice um but just through playing devil's advocate maybe um maybe they have that kind of a thing with each other to be able to no but if chelsea if chelsea were going out and she

02:23:28 - 02:23:47 | Speaker 2:

was wearing something that was you know showed a lot of skin or whatever that you would say to her you would say it in a different way i will be naked in our bed waiting for you to come home so bad example to use you yeah but most people would say you know i i i don't know this doesn't make me feel comfortable i think there is a different way of saying it than you are not

02:23:47 - 02:23:56 | Speaker 1:

allowed to okay dad yeah you know that do you think that there have you ever been in a relationship with somebody that uh with a guy that has ever been uncomfortable with something that you worn

02:23:56 - 02:24:21 | Speaker 3:

well when he wasn't there no okay also a bad example no but i know right to be fair and i'm i'm not not i think you dress impeccably well but i think sometimes when we do big events and you have like more like gowny outfits that are i like a good deep v you love a deep v and it looks great on you but some dudes would have a problem with that yeah you're right i've never been told

02:24:21 - 02:24:27 | Speaker 2:

yeah i've never been told i don't think not to wear something and if i if i was i mean wasn't

02:24:27 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 1:

she wearing the deep v though when she was single and she was out there no jingle ball you look great oh a jingle ball that was a dvd thank you um i was taped into that 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 um question is this a red flag second question anybody have anybody they've ever been in a relationship with or are currently in a relationship with that have ever not been comfortable with what they have been wearing so i would i would never do this i'd never but to play devil's advocate if

02:24:59 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 3:

the roles were

02:25:00 - 02:25:12 | Speaker 4:

reversed and she was telling him to stop dressing like adam sandler stop wearing sweatpants and and all this stuff you got to dress nicer this would be completely different right but there's

02:25:12 - 02:25:19 | Speaker 1:

such a difference between a suggestion and laying down the law yeah okay but what if he was laying

02:25:19 - 02:25:23 | Speaker 4:

down the law what if she was like you can't wear that anymore we can't you can't come in public

02:25:23 - 02:25:26 | Speaker 1:

with me because you dress are you still butthurt that ally took away like one of your sweatshirts

02:25:26 - 02:25:31 | Speaker 4:

some holy underwear you know i really it was a michigan one and i really liked it you know what

02:25:31 - 02:26:09 | Speaker 3:

though i agree with shannon on this one just because it's basically showing uh a control factor mike where i think that if she's telling you or you know there's if there's somebody in a relationship with a guy that looks like he never showers all the time it's her just going okay come on it's time for you to you know class it up maybe just a little bit i don't know if it necessarily is a great it's a it's a good try on an analogy well see i'm trying to be positive allie was right allie was right i'll say it fine uh she was right yes exactly you don't you dress great too when you're around us carter what's going on hey nothing much how are you guys good red flag

02:26:09 - 02:26:23 | Speaker 7:

uh no i do not think it's a red flag at all really what do you think it is um i think it's just boundaries and expectations wow relationships what do you think about that

02:26:23 - 02:26:31 | Speaker 3:

uh chan and megan uh he says that it's boundaries that he's trying to set up i think that then a

02:26:31 - 02:26:53 | Speaker 1:

discussion needs to to happen because you i i just don't believe in telling somebody what they can and cannot wear when they're walking out of the house it it it you know there's obviously a level of respect there and that's what i go back to if he would have said to her you know i don't know i like i'm already nervous about this bachelorette party anyway and what you're wearing you look beautiful but it doesn't make me feel more comfortable i think that there's a way of

02:26:53 - 02:27:17 | Speaker 7:

bringing it up how would you how would you have said it then uh carter um shannon or shannon i don't even know who that was to be honest um i i agree with her you should have said it differently but i mean i get where he's coming from if she doesn't want her wearing something really revealing especially like a lot of skin or something like that it's just he has boundaries

02:27:17 - 02:27:40 | Speaker 2:

you say boundaries i say controlling yeah and i i get that we just don't see eye on this one and we're not going to agree and that's totally cool but for me when you say i'm setting up boundaries for you it's i'm treating you like a child and you have to live within my limits or this isn't going to work and that's where i i don't agree that that's a healthy relationship to tell somebody

02:27:40 - 02:27:55 | Speaker 3:

you are not allowed to carter let me from a grown adult let me bring amanda into this carter you can stay with us too if you want amanda yeah hello you had an ex that did exactly this yes so i was

02:27:55 - 02:28:52 | Speaker 6:

younger i was 17 um and i got into it was my first relationship my first serious relationship and this was a huge problem um it was anytime i wore something that i was comfortable in because i was you know figuring out my femininity and my confidence it was you're not allowed to wear it you look like insert something that's not nice and it really affected my body image and It's just my overall outlook. I'm 32 now, and I still find myself sometimes questioning it. And I think that comments like this really should be addressed up front because it's tied to a whole culture, for me at least, in my perspective of, as a female, you don't wear certain things in public for a certain reason. And I think that that culture...

02:28:52 - 02:28:57 | Speaker 3:

Amanda says this. Carter, you're listening in on that. I mean, come on. You hear her point.

02:28:57 - 02:29:05 | Speaker 7:

on that, right? Yeah, 100%. I mean, I agree with it, but it's just, I mean, I don't want

02:29:05 - 02:29:13 | Speaker 5:

to... What are you doing? It's my body. I can put on it when I want to. Yeah. Absolutely,

02:29:13 - 02:29:22 | Speaker 7:

you can't. But I mean, if you're going to be in a relationship with this person and you respect this person and his opinions on things, I feel like you should take into

02:29:22 - 02:29:44 | Speaker 1:

consideration what you want and i i am i am all about boundaries but i i think again it goes back to the way that it was worded and somebody just texted really because of the way that he said it this is this is about more than just close yeah like it sounds like he's just starting to assert himself in a way that could be really unhealthy moving forward and i would think the only way

02:29:44 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 3:

that you could get away with that in the case of shan um megan's friend or what happened with the man dies if the women are inappropriate with other guys or have done it where the guy's like hey why are you doing that you know you're you're going out and about and

02:30:00 - 02:30:29 | Speaker 5:

i'm not saying that that has happened obviously with either of the two of you guys it just sounds like both situations are just really controlling guys that are are honestly i i'd worry about them past the point of being verbally abusive you know i i don't know that it sounds scary amanda thank you for the call carter thank you for the call thank you guys have a good day leah what's up it's mojo in the morning leah yes that's you hi are you leah oh hi

02:30:29 - 02:30:32 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, sorry. I was on the radio, too. I didn't know if it picked up on me.

02:30:33 - 02:30:34 | Speaker 5:

No. What's going on?

02:30:35 - 02:30:41 | Speaker 3:

So, first of all, I was not surprised that a guy called in saying that it's fine to tell a woman what to wear. That was terrible. I think.

02:30:43 - 02:30:45 | Speaker 5:

He does not represent all guys, by the way.

02:30:46 - 02:31:14 | Speaker 3:

I know. And I think, and I was saying for the opposite, I think all guys should take a page out of my boyfriend's playbook. He does the exact opposite to the point where he's even afraid to tell me what he, if I'm wearing something that he likes, he's even afraid to say he likes it because he's too afraid that he's going to be putting off the vibe of telling me what I shouldn't or even should wear in his opinion. It's like, you do you, whatever you're happy in, that's what you should be wearing.

02:31:15 - 02:31:20 | Speaker 5:

You know what? That's good. And you're okay with that, right? Although you'd probably want some compliments, wouldn't you?

02:31:20 - 02:31:27 | Speaker 3:

I would love some compliments. Sometimes it's a little annoying. I'm like, come on, tell me I look hot. But you look hot.

02:31:27 - 02:31:28 | Speaker 5:

What's up, Ella?

02:31:29 - 02:32:56 | Speaker 2:

Hey, guys. I just wanted to say that Megan's friend, you know, Megan, she needs to talk to this guy and have a conversation directly with him and, you know, see how he responds to it. And if he's not respectful to it or if he does it again, she needs to reconsider this marriage, like this upcoming wedding. Because guys need to stop. Not just guys. Everybody. you need to stop telling people what to wear you know and how to wear their hair or what clothes they're wearing stop shaming people it's you're right it happens with women doing it to women too yes and it's a horrible thing and like we start doing that to little girls and that's not okay that's not healthy and like this guy carter um mr g face i'm just gonna call him that he is trying to tell her what to wear and he's all worried about what he thinks that she should care what he thinks why doesn't he care about what she thinks and what she likes he met this girl that he's dating and i'm sure she probably had other clothes that she wore around him when he like first met her and suddenly he's trying to change her and that's the issue people try to change their partners and then later on they're like oh you've changed you're not who you were like no oh, duh, you changed the person they were because you wanted to mold them to who you wanted them to be. Great point.

02:32:56 - 02:32:57 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:32:57 - 02:33:11 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. So see the person. If you can't deal with who they are now, you should move forward and find somebody else. So that way they can just be happy and you can be happy with somebody else who fits your mold.

02:33:11 - 02:33:12 | Speaker 5:

Thank you, Ella.

02:33:13 - 02:33:15 | Speaker 2:

Anyway, love you guys. Love you, Bago.

02:33:16 - 02:33:21 | Speaker 5:

Natalie, I'm afraid to pick you up because i'm running so short on time and i think people are going to blow up when they hear this

02:33:21 - 02:33:40 | Speaker 4:

but what did you want to say okay this is i mean okay i don't dress risque in general but if i do have something on that's just maybe a bit much my husband will say hey like add a button or can you throw a jacket on and i have no problem with it because and it so it never gets to the point of him demanding me to do anything because it's a suggestion there's yeah there's a difference

02:33:40 - 02:33:45 | Speaker 1:

there's such a huge difference in how you say it yeah yeah so i guess if it's the guy if this was

02:33:45 - 02:34:00 | Speaker 4:

this initial thing he just demanded her to change okay yeah he yeah he's wrong but like yeah yeah you know so but i'm you know i'm just saying like you know as being a married woman sometimes you know that's my husband and i respect him so i'll do you know whatever not whatever

02:34:00 - 02:34:28 | Speaker 5:

what's going on well ace folks woman for our first lady jill biden took back her invitation yesterday for the university of iowa women's basketball team to visit the white house following their ncaa championship loss to lsu remember she said lsu can come and i want iowa to come as well those ladies played so well well this was just some of the media's reaction to the first lady

02:34:52 - 02:34:58 | Speaker 5:

inviting both teams let's keep tradition tradition which is a special visit for the winner because

02:34:58 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 1:

I don't know.

02:35:00 - 02:35:17 | Speaker 3:

You mean the girl I'm saying? Bring all the women. Listen, you can't invite both to the White House, can you? No. That's the part of winning a national championship. That's the part of our winning the Super Bowl, the World Series, or the NBA title. Guess what, Skip? We get invited to the White House. The losers don't get anything.

02:35:17 - 02:35:22 | Speaker 1:

Even Iowa star Kaitlyn Clark was commenting. It didn't sit well with her.

02:35:23 - 02:35:42 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. I don't think runner-ups usually go to the White House. I think LSU should enjoy that moment for them. and congratulations obviously they deserve to go there uh maybe i could go to the white house on different terms though um but you know i think you know that's for lsu so um you know that's a pretty cool moment and they should enjoy every single you know second of being a champion yeah

02:35:42 - 02:36:27 | Speaker 1:

so now only lsu is making the trip to the white house megan fox and machine gun kelly photographed hanging out in hawaii together this week so maybe working on repairing their relationship they were spotted grabbing dinner at the four seasons hotel on the big island i think this was monday night i've seen them take taking photos with lots of fans um but here's the thing normally there is a whole lot of pda between the two of them and there's pretty much been none according to people who have seen them and taken selfies with them or whatever the paparazzi no touching like whatsoever um i know monday night they ate they went down to the beach for a walk friends saying they are still very hot and cold at the moment nothing brings a couple back together than a hawaii trip

02:36:27 - 02:36:33 | Speaker 2:

right i mean that's a long trip to go on like a long flight to be on with somebody that you

02:36:33 - 02:36:38 | Speaker 1:

potentially hate or don't want to do we know if they even flew together there you know we don't

02:36:38 - 02:36:47 | Speaker 2:

know the situation but like maybe that i don't know they live in california maybe they should go to vegas for the weekend or something like that just to test it out first king charles the

I don't know why it's such a big deal, but KP is all worked up right now that she's not verified on Instagram.

02:38:38 - 02:38:41 | Speaker 5:

I love to put words in my mouth. No, no, no, no.

02:38:41 - 02:39:09 | Speaker 2:

You said that. Did everybody else hear her say that? That is not what I said. I didn't hear it. So our producer, KP, who's got a very big social following. Matter of fact, I would say your TikTok following is one of the bigger social followings that you have, right? Mm-hmm. she's upset because somebody with less followers than her has verification. See, I don't get this. What is that all about?

02:39:09 - 02:40:00 | Speaker 5:

I'm not upset about this. I'm upset that Donna Pancake from Randomville with 900 followers is getting verified when there are people out there who actually have an audience of 30 million people. who are the who are the people donna pancake is my made-up name for people who i won't say their names i would follow donna pancake i'm just saying yeah she's kind of hot anyway this person not this person there are several people i've just kind of noticed in my legs i'm like oh who's verified in in liking my photo and i click on their account and it's just somebody's mom and it's like are are you really paying $15 a month to be verified on Instagram? Like, I don't, I don't, I don't get it. So you can do that on Instagram? I thought it was Twitter. It's just the thing. It just, it just.

02:40:00 - 02:40:17 | Speaker 3:

It just rolled out. So on Instagram, if Instagram detects, which I feel like they're shooting this out to everybody, that you are an account that could be quote unquote verified, you can pay $15 to have the little blue check. And in my opinion, it makes that check not have any value. Why do you think they send it to you though? Agreed.

02:40:17 - 02:40:24 | Speaker 6:

But don't they send that to you if you have a good amount of activity, not just random people are getting it?

02:40:24 - 02:40:56 | Speaker 3:

So you have to apply for the blue check. And the reason I'm so worked up about this is because our show, that is a historic show, it took years to get verified. It took email chains. It took me talking with people and saying, hey, we actually have a reputable morning show. Well, I don't know about that. I don't know about reputable. You had me at reputable. Anyway, and now they just roll out this feature and it's like, well, that kind of devalues the whole point of being a checkmark. because now any person can just have a checkmark.

02:40:56 - 02:41:19 | Speaker 6:

So you believe that they should go back to the process of verification should be done not by paying for it and anybody can get it, that you have to prove that there should be, because the verification you said should be for the official person. Well, what if Donna Pancake is officially the only Donna Pancake? What if she's the only one? Everybody should, I feel like it's inclusive.

02:41:19 - 02:41:22 | Speaker 3:

I know you're Donna Pancake. Go ahead, Megan, I talked over you.

02:41:22 - 02:41:45 | Speaker 2:

it invalidates it and i i hate to circle back to what we talked about earlier but i think i might be kicking my own self in the butt here but remember when we were talking about how the white house was inviting both female teams the winners and the losers to the way and everybody was up in our this is very similar your your take i i told you before i brought it up i was kicking myself in the butt mike i don't need your satisfying yeah for those that missed that those

02:41:45 - 02:41:54 | Speaker 6:

that missed that with megan megan said that everybody should just be invited to the white house instead of having to win the championship because i thought it was nice all right i just

02:41:54 - 02:41:59 | Speaker 5:

thought it was nice however however though with blue check marks for once in my life i wasn't

02:41:59 - 02:42:04 | Speaker 2:

the negative one saying screw you you lost i was like everybody should be included i'm just i don't

02:42:04 - 02:42:21 | Speaker 3:

know i feel like it's catnip for the self-obsessed why do you need a check mark by your name we all know it's you and people who are actually verified or who have you know a standing have people creating fake accounts for them and pretending to sell their fake nudes and stuff people who need

02:42:21 - 02:42:40 | Speaker 1:

that kind of verification because it used to be if you had the blue check mark on instagram that you it was like a layer of protection in case you were getting impersonated exactly so with this 15 deal i don't know what to call it is is there still that or is it just simply you

02:42:40 - 02:42:45 | Speaker 3:

pay 15 and you get the blue check mark uh i don't know the details i just know that they are taking

02:42:45 - 02:43:05 | Speaker 1:

advantage of people and nickel and dying of the death and the reason i say that is i could see like for example i have a girlfriend who's a business owner and she doesn't have like a bajillion gazillion followers but i could see i think she did get the blue check mark um and i could see that she wanted to do that if it was protecting her her brain her brain like her

02:43:05 - 02:43:30 | Speaker 6:

business account i totally understand it then it should only be honestly it should only be around if anything, for the imposters and the bad actors that are out there. You know, the people that are... I'm a bad actor. Did I sound official when I said bad actor? By the way, this 248 says something very interesting. And I know you guys all hate on Elon, but this proves Elon Musk's point that verification means nothing.

02:43:30 - 02:43:35 | Speaker 2:

No, because Elon ruined the verification. The verification meant something until he sold it.

02:43:35 - 02:43:39 | Speaker 6:

But don't you love, though, that it kind of got ruined? Honestly, because I'm not verified.

02:43:39 - 02:43:44 | Speaker 5:

I was going to say, only because I want one. Only because I want a blue check mark. I don't even know what it does. I want one.

02:43:45 - 02:44:02 | Speaker 6:

You know what this is? This is now the version of, what's the thing that I bought you your Christmas gift for, where I can have the celebrities say hi to you? Cameo. This is now turned into cameo for social media, where you can have celebrities just randomly say hi to you by paying for it.

02:44:02 - 02:44:13 | Speaker 3:

It's just interesting seeing the people in my following list, who is paying for that check. because I know which ones are paying $15 for that check.

02:44:14 - 02:44:18 | Speaker 6:

You're also upset that the other radio companies are paying for it and they're not paying for it here, aren't you?

02:44:18 - 02:44:26 | Speaker 3:

It's all the Odyssey people. We don't pay for our check. I want to make that very clear. We do not pay for our verification status. We have clout. We earned it.

02:44:26 - 02:44:30 | Speaker 6:

But it's only because we don't have the budget anymore to do that. I would totally do it.

02:44:31 - 02:44:49 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the morning. Find us on Instagram. It's Mojo in the morning. WKQI Detroit. WSNX, Muskegon, Grand Rapids, WVPS, Toledo, three great stations, one stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning, live.

02:44:53 - 02:45:00 | Speaker 6:

Opening day, Detroit Tigers. This is Mojo in the Morning, live.

02:45:00 - 02:46:28 | Speaker 2:

On a winning streak, too, I thought for sure we were going into opening day and we were going to be 0-4 because we were going after the first series against Tampa to play Houston, which Houston is the reigning champs. But, man, we got their number. Let's play Houston all year if this is the case. We got Boston coming in tomorrow. And you know what? KP is going to be out tomorrow. This is actually really good. everybody said who's the biggest baseball fan and biggest tigers fan on the show let's send them out to go see it yesterday we found out this is by the way first off let me introduce you to the uh the man that is have has invited us out for years to detroit's home opener fest uh festival um and the big it's the biggest opening day party downtown jody is with us this morning and let me just say this to you thank you by the way for having us again you always have uh detroit's channel 955 out there thank you so much we appreciate you you have partners on this whole deal we do we got a couple partners on the deal do they think that you're crazy for having us out there absolutely not do they know every year it's like make sure you talk to 955 make sure you get these guys out there make sure they're doing can i tell you a funny story real quick before i get into your party so we were out for opening day once at chelly's when chelly's was open there that restaurant yeah and i said to him i go i go chris you've been a friend for a long time i thank you so much for having us out here and he goes gotta be honest with you mojo me and the partners didn't

02:46:28 - 02:46:34 | Speaker 3:

think this was a great idea just not mince words and ever since then anytime we're out for any kind

02:46:34 - 02:46:54 | Speaker 2:

of opening day i go are the partners okay with this one because i don't know um you guys throw the biggest party and we decided that we're gonna put kp there i don't know if you heard this yesterday on the show said kp you grown up here in town you're you know uh from lake orion you got to be a big tigers fan and stuff and she's like no not really i'm not really a tigers fan

02:46:54 - 02:47:01 | Speaker 1:

but she's a big partier so it's perfect time anywhere if someone mentions baseball to me

02:47:01 - 02:47:19 | Speaker 2:

you got to give me a shot too seriously and i was trying to explain to her jody that opening day is like saint patrick's day i would say it's probably second to saint patrick's day for the amount of beer sales in you know this area right it's nuts i mean honestly i've been doing this

02:47:19 - 02:47:31 | Speaker 1:

event for probably over a decade and it's probably the biggest day in detroit i mean honestly there's probably over a hundred thousand people downtown at least oh yeah it's crazy you think you figure

02:47:31 - 02:47:41 | Speaker 2:

the stadium's what 40 000 plus and it's packed it's always you know pretty much a sold out crowd and then there's those that are like the people that come to your party that they don't even go

02:47:41 - 02:47:45 | Speaker 1:

to the game yep no they're just going there to party and have a good time and tomorrow the weather

02:47:45 - 02:47:51 | Speaker 3:

I mean, it's going to be dry. It's not going to be freezing cold like it has been in past years. So people are going to want to come out.

02:47:51 - 02:47:54 | Speaker 1:

And who doesn't love day drinking? I mean, day drinking is just awesome.

02:47:54 - 02:47:56 | Speaker 3:

I would rather day drink than night time drink.

02:47:56 - 02:48:02 | Speaker 2:

By the way, you can buy tickets to this by going to DetroitHomeOpener.com. How much do tickets cost?

02:48:02 - 02:48:16 | Speaker 1:

Tickets start at $20. All right. There's an assortment of different options for every type of buyer. So there's anywhere from the single buyer to the $20 general admission ticket, all the way up to large groups of 25 and up. Here's the deal.

02:48:17 - 02:48:50 | Speaker 2:

You're going to be mad. This is where the partners get mad at me. Haas said I have a ton of tickets that we can give away. So while we're still talking to Jody, call 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 If you just get through on the phone line with us, we're going to give you a pair of tickets but the moment that we say goodbye to him we're done giving away tickets, then you got to go buy them and put money in this man's pocket. He's a new dad. He's got to get diapers for his child. and formula um so big giant heated tent as always tell us about the djs so the djs and bands and

02:48:50 - 02:49:51 | Speaker 1:

everybody that you got coming in yeah so we've got uh your generation live in concert which is like an awesome cover band uh it's a local band but it's nationally recognized um it's an eight piece band they do a ton of stuff from you know probably five decades of genres of music uh we've got dj preview dj chachi dj mint uh dj high def all like really well known yeah yeah team djs team djs red wings tigers so we've got the best of the best there um and then you know a bunch of other options for games festival games and um you know obviously the full bar we got food vendors there we've got um bro's burger and bart's pizza so we're doing a lot of the tailgate stuff there with burgers fries dogs um pizza so a lot of different options for people as well to to munch is there a nap time station for me when i'm halfway through my event you gotta rally i think that starts at four oh okay from four to five see what i can i can get there i will tell you that

02:49:51 - 02:50:00 | Speaker 2:

i'm gonna go down and i'm gonna uh come by to the party and stuff like that and then go to opening day and i never make it through a game my my thing is i can go through

02:50:00 - 02:50:12 | Speaker 1:

I can hang out at your party, but I can't get through the game because your party's warmer than the game. And I know it's going to be 50 something degrees, but it feels like honestly what it should be. It feels like June in your tent when you're in there.

02:50:12 - 02:50:26 | Speaker 2:

Yes, absolutely. We've got these giant heated tents. And this year we've added a special feature. We've done almost like a sky roof. So it's going to be a clear roof. So if the sun's shining in there, you're going to get that actually in the sun. So our setup is really cool.

02:50:26 - 02:50:28 | Speaker 3:

So wear sunscreen. Is that what you're saying?

02:50:29 - 02:51:10 | Speaker 1:

Actually, you know what's funny, KP? Yeah, it was. If you sit, so depending on where you sit at a Tigers game, if you're on first base side or the third base side, opening day I've gotten the worst sunburns because I've been on the sun side. And so the problem is you don't think that you're getting it because you think it's cold, and then you go home and your face is like burned off. Or you've got the sunglass marks, right? I've got the owl eyes. Nick, you're a winner. Congratulations to you, buddy. Thank you very much. Going to be going out for opening day tomorrow. Are you going to the game or are you just going to go to the party? About both. All right. Hang on one second. We got, let's see here, Brooklyn. What's up, Brooklyn?

02:51:12 - 02:51:12 | Speaker 4:

Hi.

02:51:13 - 02:51:14 | Speaker 1:

We got some tickets. Say hi to Jody.

02:51:16 - 02:51:16 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Jody.

02:51:16 - 02:51:17 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Brooklyn. How are you doing?

02:51:18 - 02:51:19 | Speaker 4:

Good. How are you?

02:51:19 - 02:51:22 | Speaker 1:

Good. Thank you. Have you ever been to an opening day party?

02:51:23 - 02:51:24 | Speaker 4:

I have not.

02:51:24 - 02:51:34 | Speaker 1:

Well, you're going to have fun. You're going to lose your opening day virginity tomorrow, okay? Awesome. Thank you so much. Thank you. We've got Brandy from Ohio. What part of Ohio are you from?

02:51:36 - 02:51:37 | Speaker 4:

Hi, I'm from Lucky, Ohio.

02:51:38 - 02:51:38 | Speaker 1:

Lucky, Ohio.

02:51:39 - 02:51:41 | Speaker 4:

Still a little luckier than that.

02:51:43 - 02:51:45 | Speaker 1:

Brandy, congratulations. Big Tigers fan?

02:51:46 - 02:51:47 | Speaker 4:

Huge Tigers fan.

02:51:47 - 02:52:13 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. We got tickets for you. The opening day party. Greg also from Ohio. Look at this. You guys are inundating us right now. 92.5 KISS FM in Toledo. Greg, where are you from? From Toledo with Megan. Oh, yeah. Did you go to opening day for the Mud Hens on Friday? Actually, I did. Did you see our very own Megan Mick there? Actually, I didn't.

02:52:14 - 02:52:19 | Speaker 4:

It was right outside of Frickers. How dare you? Hopefully, I'll see her tomorrow.

02:52:19 - 02:52:21 | Speaker 1:

Have you ever been to Toledo for their opening day?

02:52:22 - 02:52:22 | Speaker 2:

No, how is it?

02:52:24 - 02:52:41 | Speaker 1:

They're sloppy. They're sloppy. They're sloppy drinkers. Hey, is there any way that we can get, like, will Detroit ever become, like, an open carry, you know, beverage city, you think? I don't know. It's probably unlikely, but who knows? You know how things are.

02:52:41 - 02:52:42 | Speaker 3:

That would be super fun.

02:52:42 - 02:52:45 | Speaker 1:

That's what it's like in Toledo. You just walk the streets, you know, carrying around, right, Megan?

02:52:46 - 02:52:47 | Speaker 3:

Yes, you can. And in Crane Rapids.

02:52:48 - 02:52:54 | Speaker 1:

It's like a Vegas atmosphere. What's up, Rachel? One last one here, because I'm going to say goodbye to Jody here in a second. You're a winner.

02:52:55 - 02:53:18 | Speaker 4:

hello thank you how are you good morning thank you everyone good morning where are you from wayne michigan and i'm i've grown my father lived in cork town all his life and i can remember going to the games at the seventh inning stretch the old tiger stadium and getting in for free because after the seventh inning stretch they would just open the doors because they wanted the fans in

02:53:18 - 02:53:35 | Speaker 1:

there and um i loved it yeah chris ellis doesn't do that anymore he's not letting anybody in for free anymore but i gotta tell you something that was the coolest thing is that back you're right way back in the day they just open it up and say anybody come on in yeah so it's kind of cool um

02:53:35 - 02:53:40 | Speaker 4:

we have seats we got bats from the old tiger stadium it was great i've never been to one

02:53:40 - 02:54:17 | Speaker 1:

in camerica park though well you behave yourself you're going to the detroit home opener fest uh festival you got tickets to that um madison avenue festival grounds get your tickets at DetroitHomeOpener.com Tomorrow morning we're actually going to have tickets to the game to give away. So tomorrow morning we'll have tickets to that. Jody, good luck. I said to KP, I go, what was your negotiation, Jody, for like a talent fee for this one? I said, did you negotiate a free bar tab? She's not as smart as I am at negotiating the bar tabs. Don't even start with me. I think you just did it for her. Do you see that?

02:54:18 - 02:54:25 | Speaker 3:

Thank you, Jody. As long as you have a place for me to nap or something. I'm serious about that. If there's an open bar tab, I'm going to need to... Haas will take care of you.

02:54:26 - 02:54:31 | Speaker 1:

Hassan will be your Uber for you. Although, Hassan needs an Uber.

02:54:32 - 02:54:36 | Speaker 3:

Our winner, Rachel. I'm going to hang out with her and go to her place.

02:54:36 - 02:54:41 | Speaker 1:

Alright, hold on. Rachel, take care of... Please take care of KP, okay? I will. Alright, thank you.

02:54:42 - 02:54:44 | Speaker 3:

What's that, Megan? Has anybody ever told Jody that he sounds like Young Gravy?

02:54:45 - 02:54:47 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. That's a compliment.

02:54:47 - 02:54:51 | Speaker 3:

He's like Young Gravy, dude. You could have a rap career. I'm just saying.

02:54:52 - 02:55:00 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you know what? I never really thought about that. But you do have a little bit of... You got a little young gravy-esque. Hold on, let me get the...

02:55:00 - 02:55:06 | Speaker 4:

Never going to let you die. Never going to ride.

02:55:08 - 02:55:21 | Speaker 3:

He does. He does. That's wild. All right. I like it. All right, buddy. Thank you so much for coming in. Thank you. Thanks, guys. Thanks again. Thanks, Haas. Thanks for bringing him in. I appreciate you.

Is that what it is?

02:55:58 - 02:56:17 | Speaker 4:

It's Bob's. Bob's Discount, right? Yeah, yeah. Bob's Discount Furniture. I should probably talk to a manager or somebody, or Bob, and apologize. Because we went in there the other day. I told you guys about the couch that my son pooped on, right? Wait, no.

02:56:17 - 02:56:18 | Speaker 2:

No, you did not.

02:56:18 - 02:56:23 | Speaker 4:

Oh, a few months ago. This was like six months ago. I thought he talked about it on the air. He did. He did talk about it on the air.

02:56:23 - 02:56:24 | Speaker 2:

Okay, I'm not recalling. So tell the story again.

02:56:24 - 02:56:46 | Speaker 4:

So he was at that stage where he wasn't ready to potty train, but he, um, so he would do this thing though, where he would reach into his diaper and we, like he wasn't there yet. He's fully potty trained now, but he just wasn't there yet. And I walked out of the room for like 30 seconds and came back and he had smeared poop all over our Brown couch. Yeah, we cleaned it. We cleaned it, but it's forever unclean.

02:56:46 - 02:56:50 | Speaker 2:

No, it's not the state. Yes. It's forever unclean. You can't forget. Forever unclean. Never forget.

02:56:51 - 02:57:21 | Speaker 4:

I'm glad you understood the reference, Megan. Thank you. and uh so we that that couch now sits in the basement and we need a new couch so we went to bob's discount furniture we started looking at all these uh these couches or whatever and you do what everybody does you sit in the couch you get up you go sit on the next couch well i am a child and had a bag full of open skittles in my pocket and they fell out at one point spilled everywhere in one of the couch cushions but i don't know which one i have no idea i went to

02:57:21 - 02:57:28 | Speaker 2:

reach for them at one point someone's gonna get a little surprise yeah they're sitting in one of

02:57:28 - 02:57:35 | Speaker 4:

those couches and i have no idea which one so to bobs i apologize bob yourself bob sorry about that

02:57:35 - 02:57:53 | Speaker 3:

i don't know bob's discount furniture for this but do they sell the floor models is that like a special discount that they'll do or do they have that thing because i know that if you go to back in the day it was art van now it's garner white i know that they'll get they'll you buy but you don't buy necessarily the floor model right and sometimes they'll they they will sell you the

02:57:53 - 02:57:58 | Speaker 2:

floor model for like a discount you know is that what they'll do okay i wonder if anybody's found

02:57:58 - 02:58:05 | Speaker 4:

stuff in them when they buy those those floor models right right cash right people sit down

02:58:05 - 02:58:45 | Speaker 3:

you think probably a little change in there i would see i would wonder if i all of a sudden bought a couch from a furniture place and there was a bunch of skittles in there i would think to myself these guys are pulling a fast one on me you know would you eat one though oh i would definitely eat one i do that now you don't understand i find stuff on the floor of my tahoe and it goes right into my mouth um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 uh the uh the telephone number has anybody ever bought something at a store and found like how about this in the pants pockets yeah have you ever found that out stuff like that i wish i would have found something good

02:58:45 - 02:59:12 | Speaker 2:

I mean, we've talked about this before, and I can remember somebody saying that they found a used condom in the pocket of something. I can't remember if it was a skirt or a pair of jeans or a shirt or something. But, I mean, that's a big thing with people wearing stuff and then, you know, returning it to get their money back. And they forget that, you know, they stashed something away in one of the pockets. Yeah, big thing to forget about your used condoms. Pretty normal. I mean...

02:59:12 - 02:59:13 | Speaker 1:

Where did that go?

02:59:13 - 02:59:14 | Speaker 3:

Who puts their used condoms there?

02:59:14 - 02:59:17 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. I'm just recalling the story.

02:59:17 - 02:59:33 | Speaker 3:

I mean, that's like the first thing that's got to be completely discarded after you guys have used your used condoms. By the way, and also, who are the people that go and buy clothes from a store and wear them and then bring them back?

02:59:33 - 02:59:44 | Speaker 2:

I did it one time. I did it one time for our prom. And that dress was ugly. Nobody bought that even after I wore it. I did that at Costco with a coat. I wore it for a straight year.

02:59:44 - 02:59:52 | Speaker 4:

And then I was like, I hate this. And they took it back. Okay, I wore it for like a half hour. And I'm sorry, I'm going to go to confession, but that was stealing. Yes, I did it.

02:59:52 - 02:59:54 | Speaker 3:

Do you understand this is Holy Week?

02:59:55 - 02:59:58 | Speaker 4:

I'm sorry. Do you know that? So bad. A year?

02:59:58 - 02:59:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:59:58 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 4:

He was like...

03:00:00 - 03:00:01 | Speaker 1:

I just didn't like it anymore. I'm like, you know what?

03:00:02 - 03:00:07 | Speaker 4:

That's not how it works. Did they say anything or did they take it back?

03:00:07 - 03:00:13 | Speaker 1:

No, they take it back. They're like Nordstrom. Nordstrom, Costco, they're a bunch of stores. They'll take anything. Even if it's not from them.

03:00:15 - 03:00:25 | Speaker 6:

Aren't you, by the way, aren't you going right to hell? Fast pass. Yeah. That's a good moment. Mojo in the morning. What's up, Joanne?

03:00:26 - 03:00:45 | Speaker 2:

Hi. I just called to tell you I've been married to my husband for 15 years and he finds money in the most craziest places and one of the craziest places is cigarette packs whether there's cigarettes or no cigarette packs he finds cigarette packs on the ground they'll pick it up and eight out of ten times there'll be money people just stash

03:00:45 - 03:00:52 | Speaker 1:

their their extra cash in there in their pocket one time he came out with um at lowe's he come

03:00:52 - 03:01:04 | Speaker 2:

out in in the bathroom he picked up five cigarette packs that on top of the garbage can brought them out, and there were five packs, and one of them had, like, $80 racked up. Oh, my gosh. He finds money all the time.

03:01:05 - 03:01:20 | Speaker 6:

That is a wildest thing. I've never thought in my life to ever pick up a used, you know, somebody just being a litterer and throwing out a cigarette pack that they would keep their money in there. And now I might bend down and peak.

03:01:20 - 03:01:30 | Speaker 2:

I know, and then you're afraid you're going to drop it back down and you'll be the one that showed that you littered it. Look, how crazy do you look? How crazy do you look going through a garbage can digging through cigarette boxes?

03:01:31 - 03:01:32 | Speaker 1:

You have $80, Megan.

03:01:33 - 03:01:40 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I'll do it. He's throwing money everywhere. You know what he finds, too? Scratch-offs, unscratch-offs, on the ground.

03:01:41 - 03:02:11 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Can I tell you something? I would be throwing it in the garbage because I would figure that's my payment for the free money that cigarette person just gave me. That's true. Yeah. Yeah. By the way, somebody just said that Bob's does sell the floor model, so somebody's going to get Mike's Skittles in there. You get a couch and a taste of the rainbow all in one, so you're welcome. By the way, it took you how long to go and try to look for a new couch from the poop couch?

03:02:14 - 03:02:17 | Speaker 5:

It was like my favorite couch.

03:02:18 - 03:02:26 | Speaker 6:

I know, but have you had family over or friends over that have sat on that couch and not forewarned them that that's where Milo rubs

03:02:26 - 03:02:36 | Speaker 4:

his duty? That's where he did at one point. Yeah. No, I haven't told him. No, I haven't told him. I just, because it's not something you bring up. The couch is brown anyways. It's not like you could see it even though it was there.

03:02:36 - 03:02:40 | Speaker 1:

It makes it so much better. Nobody's going to visit Mike at his house from this point forward.

03:02:40 - 03:02:42 | Speaker 5:

Oh my God. Oh man.

03:02:42 - 03:02:43 | Speaker 6:

Alright, Mojo in the Morning.

03:02:44 - 03:02:46 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's top trending stories.

03:02:46 - 03:03:49 | Speaker 6:

I really don't, Shannon did a great job in Dirty today covering all the stories that I was even thinking about covering. This was a big story. It was trending yesterday. Did you see that Apple CEO, the Apple boss, Tim Cook, wants you to use your phone less if you are a kid? I actually like this. He's insisting that it's time for parents to start limiting screen time for children and suggest that parents and administrations should look at a limit to the use of smartphones after a GQ reporter said that his son was obsessed with his smartphone. Cook said that kids are born digital. They are digital kids now. And that means that there's so much around digital technology that they need to get off of the phones. And it's the parents' responsibility that the parents should stop doing this. As a matter of fact, he suggests that there should be less screen time. And he says that Apple even offers the app called Screen Time

03:03:49 - 03:04:11 | Speaker 1:

to get you off of your phone those ipads and ipods my kids don't have phones but they do have it lucy has an ipod um which is currently in my possession because she lost it for a month and then smith has an ipad and it is i notice mike i don't know if you'd say this i notice their behavior is totally different when we take those away from them like in a good way

03:04:11 - 03:04:20 | Speaker 3:

yes 100 agree it's it's more present and it's more like um they i want to say even more articulate when they're not on their phones.

03:04:21 - 03:04:33 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I feel like that's just like such a huge source of tantrums and attitude. Is that my problem with my articulate? Maybe. It's being on my phone. And your attitude, too.

03:04:33 - 03:04:35 | Speaker 6:

Are you saying I've got a bad attitude?

03:04:36 - 03:04:37 | Speaker 1:

I agree.

03:04:38 - 03:04:55 | Speaker 6:

You guys know that more and more people are drinking less and less milk. Got milk generation is gone. Gen Z is soured on milk and they're saying that there is 20% less milk drinking. Is it milk or milk? I always say it wrong.

03:04:55 - 03:04:55 | Speaker 5:

No.

03:04:55 - 03:04:56 | Speaker 6:

You guys make fun of me.

03:04:56 - 03:04:57 | Speaker 5:

She needs some milk.

03:04:58 - 03:04:59 | Speaker 6:

Then the average...

03:05:00 - 03:05:34 | Speaker 5:

The person was drinking even 10 years ago, so less and less people are doing it, including less and less people putting that into their coffee. They're actually doing other things like using other products like coconut and almond, but that's an interesting stat. A five-year-old little girl uses her mom's cell phone. Speaking of using your phones less, this is what happens to you if you put your kids on the phone nonstop and rings up $4,000 in an Amazon shopping spree.

03:05:34 - 03:05:44 | Speaker 4:

She ordered five pink motorcycles, five blue motorcycles, ten pairs of cowgirl boots, and a Jeep. He just pressed all the buttons.

03:05:44 - 03:05:51 | Speaker 2:

He pressed them on the brown button. Yeah. It's very easy on Amazon.

03:05:52 - 03:05:55 | Speaker 5:

She bought those, you know, those battery-powered, like, cars and motorcycles?

03:05:55 - 03:05:57 | Speaker 2:

The little motorbikes. Oh, yes.

03:05:57 - 03:06:05 | Speaker 5:

She ended up buying a whole bunch of those. After hearing about what happened, Amazon said that they were willing to take some of the items back and refund the money.

03:06:06 - 03:06:14 | Speaker 4:

I did tell her that maybe if she, you know, she behaves and she does some chores around the house, that we can get her a bike that's more geared towards her age range. A little slower, maybe.

03:06:15 - 03:07:02 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, so they were cool about that. And I think that somebody saw this story because the story happened in Westport, Massachusetts. And one of the people that lives there heard about that and said that they would actually buy the kid their own little bike. So they're giving them that. These stories happen all the time, and we've talked about it before in topic form. And it's amazing to see how many kids will grab their parents' phone and just start randomly purchasing things. And their parents have no idea what's going on. Like, I think it's wild that there are kids that are able to use their parents' Apple Pay. Like, where Apple Pay will actually work. Because my Apple Pay always does the whole face thing. Yeah. Yeah, but some people, I guess, don't keep their secure. I don't know.

03:07:02 - 03:07:02 | Speaker 1:

Their what?

03:07:03 - 03:07:06 | Speaker 5:

Keep their phone secure. Oh. What were you saying?

03:07:06 - 03:07:07 | Speaker 4:

You said secure.

03:07:08 - 03:07:09 | Speaker 5:

Secure. Oh, really?

03:07:09 - 03:07:10 | Speaker 4:

Secure.

03:07:10 - 03:07:20 | Speaker 5:

I'm having a stroke right now, and you guys are making fun of me. How do you guys feel? Secure. Secure. I feel really good about it, to be honest. Did you just say that?

03:07:21 - 03:07:25 | Speaker 8:

He missed my job and then she heard it. He repeated it and then he thinks it's funny.

03:07:28 - 03:07:30 | Speaker 2:

We need to be done.

03:07:31 - 03:07:49 | Speaker 5:

By the way, I just want you guys to know that I, too, went on social media to write a negative thing about you guys. So I'm going on there. So if you see one on there, Big Fat M.O., that's me. have a great day
