You're a doo-doo hack.

00:02:21 - 00:02:54 | Unknown:

It's showtime. We'll be right back.

00:02:54 - 00:04:28 | Speaker 6:

good morning welcome to the mojo in the morning show it is nice to have you here with us hello hello hello wore the roses this morning they got married just after the first year actually less than two months ago and he's already cheating she says his ex is still in the picture coming up here in a little over an hour from now war the roses bust its first cheater of the week so make sure that you're listening that's happening 7 40 this morning okay so 7 40 this morning we will have that right after we give away another chance for you to win a brand new car how about this find the fob is the contest our good friend brian moran over at moran automotive yeah is giving away your pick of what could be a brand new chevrolet blazer maybe a trax maybe a corvette maybe a colorado i mean there's a whole bunch of them on the lot so one of the cars on the lot is going to be the car that we're giving away you got to pick the car whichever one that you find the fob in that one will be the one that will start up and that one that will start up you get

00:04:28 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 5:

to take home with you isn't that kind of nice amazing are you a superstitious person you very like if you went on a lot and you looked at the license plates of the cars and you saw b4 like is there something that would make you choose a car over color would be the one thing like i mean

00:04:41 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

i wouldn't i don't know if i'd choose the color i want i think i'd choose the color i would think that they would give away would be one that I would do another one that I would do is I would probably think practicality and I don't know why I do this but I would think that I want a car that's gonna be practical for me yeah and

00:05:00 - 00:05:15 | Speaker 1:

See, I'm all about my gut. My intuition is going to point out which car it's going to be, and that's the one I'm going to find the bobbin. It might not be the one I want, like you said, but probably subconsciously I'm going toward that Tahoe.

00:05:16 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 2:

And truly, we don't know. They are not telling us, which I love. I actually don't want them to tell us.

00:05:21 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 1:

I kind of want to know.

00:05:22 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 2:

You do?

00:05:23 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 1:

I kind of want to know.

00:05:24 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 2:

I don't want to know because I want to be as surprised as the person who wins the thing is surprised. Also, I don't want anybody that tries to play it off and say, oh, I can figure out who it is. Because if I know, sometimes I'm like, I'm looking, I'm looking, I'm looking. I'm bad. I got a very bad acting face. The other thing that we're going to be doing is giving you a chance to win cash if you just want a cash buyout. So if you don't want the car, like say you already got a car, you want $25,000 as the cash buyout that they'll offer for you. So find the fob coming up here, and we'll do the first one at 630. It's Mojo in the morning show. What is this that I heard? I heard you having a conversation with Lydia and Bianca before we got on the air. And by the way, Megan is out again this morning. She's out the whole week. She's on vacation this week. But I heard you say something that I am the reason why you had a bad night or something last night.

00:06:18 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 1:

No, well, not necessarily a bad night. No, something you said has made me very self-conscious and really question who I am as a human being. whoa so I love a good glass of wine this is not a secret to anybody listening to this radio show right now or anybody in this room and I never usually will shy away from having a glass of wine on let's say a random Monday night as last night was so I go to open this bottle of wine Wes is away he's on a business trip this week it's just me and the kids and I'm like you know what it's been a long day I would love a good glass of wine I go to open the bottle and then it hit me i remember something that mojo said in the studio about how he wanted a drink on i don't know what day it was last week like wednesday or something and chelsea told you that you're not allowed to drink during the week because oh no what did she say no she didn't tell me that i

00:07:13 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 2:

wasn't allowed to drink she and she actually uh she i said to her i go yeah i go i don't know why i'm drinking during the week or whatever the deal is and chelsea said something like that well then why are you drinking like she basically she kind of like it wasn't she wasn't like telling me that i was that i was uh had a drinking problem that i have a drinking problem but it was the way that um like if she like i i was i was kind of wanting her to go yeah i have a drink but it wasn't like

00:07:39 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 1:

i thought about this conversation because you were sharing with us and i'm like oh god is something wrong with me because it's 5 30 on a monday i really don't have an occasion to open this bottle of wine but i really really really want to yeah we're getting hammered i was not about to get hammered with my children but i wanted one glass but honest to god i stood there and i was like

00:08:03 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 2:

i don't think this is is it weird yeah wait is it weird to say this this is actually interesting that we should this is a good topic to bring up is it weird to say this that pre-covid i would never have thought of having a drink on any other day about friday or saturday night i'm with you Maybe a Thursday. And then all the, in Thursday, yeah, maybe. Then all of a sudden COVID came and it was like COVID cocktails. I'm COVID cocktailing it. Yeah, everybody did. Yeah. You can't blame it on COVID. Well, I'm blaming everything on it. It changed my life. It made my wiener smaller. It can't be a scapegoat.

00:08:39 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 1:

And then I'm like checking the time. I'm like, is it, all right, it's 530. That's appropriate. So what did I do? Did I open the bottle of wine or did I not? Yeah, what did you do? I felt so shamed.

00:08:48 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you know who she did. Did you? Absolutely. I heard the quirk from my house.

00:08:55 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 1:

Ready to party.

00:09:00 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 2:

Wait, and Wes wasn't home?

00:09:03 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 1:

No, Wes is away in a business trap.

00:09:05 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 2:

So that's the other thing, too. Drinking by yourself is a weird one. Why? Because if I have a drink by myself, like if I'm having a drink and nobody's home at all, I feel very lonely if I'm drinking by myself.

00:09:18 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 1:

I don't. I feel very warm inside. And by the way, shout out to Top Shelf Liquor in Allen Park right there on Allen Road. I know they're huge listeners. I bought the bottle of wine from them when I was with my dad last week. So I was like, you know what? Okay. No better occasion to open it than a random Monday night.

00:09:33 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

So our old neighbor from the old neighborhood came over last night. I used to love our old neighborhood. It was the best neighborhood ever. it was like everybody all the kids would code everybody's homes the adults all hung out with each other it was like every friday saturday night we used to call each other on our way home from work on friday and go where are we hanging tonight like we knew what it was like that's cool um our old neighbor ken came over yesterday in the afternoon

00:10:00 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 4:

to return something that Ken and Marsha borrowed from Chels. And I was just home by myself, and Ken is at the door at like 3, 45, 4 o'clock in the afternoon. And Ken comes in, and I'm like, can we drink at 4 o'clock in the afternoon? Duh. Yes, we can. Yes, you can. So I opened up a bottle of the Four Roses, and Ken and I each had a cocktail. And then I realized to myself, I'm like, this is kind of nice. The sun is still out. like it was kind you know it felt like summertime to me even though it felt like not summertime outside but um is is there okay here's the question to ask is it bad to drink during the week and are how many drinks do you have during the week like are you somebody that like will will you drink there are some people i know that drink every night yeah and i'm like good for you

00:10:50 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 5:

every night's too much i feel like that's a little bit of a like once it leaves from i'm gonna have something to it's sounding like you're depending on it yeah in order to relax or to have

00:11:03 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 4:

a good time or to enjoy yourself then i'm kind of questioning people smoke every uh every day

00:11:08 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 2:

that's true every day what's going on ashley hi not much i was just listening to your stuff and just talking it's true i haven't smoked weed until i covid yeah see that it turned into you

00:11:23 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 4:

know making you do some stuff question for you do you smoke every day because if you do it'll make me feel good about wanting to drink every day uh pretty much pretty much do you really yeah are you what are you are you a vape penner or what are you no just flour okay what is that i don't know three flowers oh just flour okay so you're actually is it like a joint joint like a Or where do you smoke it out of? Yep. Like a pipe or something?

00:11:49 - 00:11:50 | Speaker 5:

She'd be rolling them zigzags. You really?

00:11:51 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 3:

No, I usually just roll joints.

00:11:53 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 4:

Joints make me feel like I'm smoking cigarettes. I can't do it. And for some reason, smoking a cigarette doesn't seem cool to me.

00:11:59 - 00:12:00 | Speaker 5:

I think it's healthier than a Swisher, though.

00:12:00 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 4:

Is it?

00:12:01 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 5:

Like if you're rolling backwards or something. And then pipe makes me do it.

00:12:05 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 4:

If somebody does pipe, it makes me feel like they're doing crack.

00:12:08 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 3:

I know. See, that's why I can't do that. My dad smokes by different pipes. And I'm like, no, this is too much of a drug thing to me. But I usually get hemp wraps or, like, the hemp joint papers because, yeah, those fishers, I feel like I'm smoking a cigarette, too. Probably because of the tobacco in there.

00:12:21 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:12:21 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 5:

Pipes, there's something regal about a pipe.

00:12:24 - 00:12:28 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, like, it's got to be a pipe pipe. It's got to be like a Sherlock Holmes pipe.

00:12:28 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, and it has to hang out at the side of your mouth.

00:12:30 - 00:12:33 | Speaker 4:

Yes. It has to. Tawny, what's up? Hi.

00:12:35 - 00:12:51 | Speaker 1:

Hi. So I work third shift, and there's this bar that used to open at, like, 5.30, 6 o'clock in the morning. and a bunch of us would go after work for a drink and we would get the weirdest stares from everybody who was going to get breakfast and we're just ordering cocktails.

00:12:51 - 00:12:54 | Speaker 4:

Wait, there's a bar that's open that early in the morning?

00:12:55 - 00:13:00 | Speaker 1:

It used to be out in Rossford by the casino. Oh my God, the casino crowd.

00:13:00 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 4:

That's insane. I never knew that. That's pretty wild. A six o'clock in the morning bar. You know when I realized I probably should not be having a drink is when I was driving to work on like a Wednesday and I had a little bit of a twinge of what I would call a headache, hangover headache, I'm like, why do I have, oh, God, all right, there's something wrong with me. So I do have to feel, I feel like I have to be careful, especially they say that with the shots that, you know, you're doing and I'm doing for weight loss, they say that you drink less. I don't buy that because I find myself wanting a drink to not eat a sweet or something for some reason. I don't know, like a drink for some reason, I don't know, I would say quenches my thirst, but it satisfies that urge.

00:13:44 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 5:

Do you get drunk faster on the shot? Oh, my God. Like, does it get straight to the bloodstream?

00:13:48 - 00:13:53 | Speaker 4:

I have one, literally one sip of a drink, I feel it right away, where before, I didn't feel it.

00:13:54 - 00:13:57 | Speaker 5:

No, that's not true. Before, you had two sips of a drink, and then you announced that you were drunk to everybody.

00:13:58 - 00:14:00 | Speaker 4:

But I had an umbrella with it, and I was drinking out of it.

00:14:01 - 00:14:09 | Speaker 6:

How smart are you? It's Mojo in the mornings, back in the day. We have to go back and change. Where we give you a bunch of events, and you tell us what year it happened.

00:14:09 - 00:14:24 | Speaker 4:

All right, we're giving you a chance to win Kesha tickets right now. The show's going to be this summer. What year was this? This was the year that this special candidate received 9% of the presidential votes in North Carolina.

00:14:24 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 7:

North Carolina shows Donald Trump leading Hillary Clinton in a possible presidential matchup, but that's not the part that's grabbing people's attention today. It is the third-party candidate on that poll, a candidate named Deez Nuts. Oh, no. Really? A candidate registered as an independent from Iowa has the legal name of Deez Nuts. No. Public policy polling showed him pulling 9% of the vote in North Carolina.

00:14:48 - 00:14:51 | Speaker 4:

The Rock and Kevin Hart starred in Central Intelligence.

00:14:52 - 00:14:58 | Speaker 7:

00:15:00 - 00:15:03 | Speaker 2:

A song from Ariana Grande. Grande. Grande.

00:15:04 - 00:15:07 | Speaker 1:

Fancy. I swear I did not drink. Been drinking already this morning? I swear.

00:15:07 - 00:15:38 | Speaker 3:

00:15:39 - 00:15:40 | Speaker 2:

Dee's Nuts was running for president.

00:15:41 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 3:

North Carolina shows Donald Trump leading Hillary Clinton in a possible presidential matchup, but that's not the part that's grabbing people's attention today. It is the third-party candidate on that poll, a candidate named Dee's Nuts.

00:15:54 - 00:15:58 | Speaker 2:

Really? Yeah, The Rock and Kevin Hart starred in Central Intelligence.

00:15:58 - 00:16:04 | Speaker 3:

I need your skill set to save the entire free world. You ready? No. Sweet, let's go. No, I said no.

00:16:06 - 00:16:13 | Speaker 2:

And Dangerous Woman was the big song from Ariana Grande. Britney, what year was this?

00:16:14 - 00:16:15 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Brittany. Yeah. It's called the Tix Out Tour. Represent. Why do you got to keep saying it? That's what it's called. I know, but we don't need to say it anymore. We don't say it. I know. 00:17:13 - 00:17:16 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:17:16 - 00:17:18 | Speaker 2:

All right, Shannon, what's trending in the Dirty on the 30?

00:17:18 - 00:17:25 | Speaker 1:

Looking at our brackets, nobody, nobody picked Florida to win on the show.

00:17:25 - 00:17:26 | Speaker 2:

Nobody.

00:17:26 - 00:17:35 | Speaker 1:

No, they rallied to pull out a 65-63 victory over Houston last night in an NCAA title game thriller. It was a true buzzer beater.

00:17:36 - 00:17:51 | Speaker 3:

Florida leads it by two. Yuzan got to go. Yuzan, give it up. Cryer, six seconds, five seconds. Sharp. He walked. He can't touch it. He can't. One second. And it's all over. Florida is back on top.

00:17:51 - 00:18:55 | Speaker 2:

Crazy. It's a college basketball world championship madness. Did they, by the way, you know, it's, by the way, what a comeback. Youngest coach, by the way, in college basketball to win the championship was the coach of Florida. I didn't stay up until the very, very end. I ended up falling asleep. But did they play the Luther Vandross song that they always play at the end of the thing? Wait, what? Once I saw Houston Lose, I kind of just heard it. They have a song that they play at the end, and then they show the highlights of the whole thing. It's kind of like their big thing. It's called One Shining Moment. This is the song that they'll play. And they play it at the end, and then they do highlights from the entire thing. And it's kind of emotional. I remember back when Michigan State won back in 2000. I stayed up that late. I'm watching this thing, and I'm like, oh, my God, I remember those moments. And I don't think this year there were any great, like, Cinderella stories that we could talk about. Because this NIL thing kind of took that whole thing away. But it was pretty cool that you see, like, the kid holding that boom box from the beginning. Oh, yeah. They do this one. Yeah, this is the song.

00:18:58 - 00:19:04 | Speaker 3:

But that's the song, though.

00:19:04 - 00:19:05 | Speaker 2:

He's known for it.

00:19:05 - 00:19:06 | Speaker 1:

What year was that song?

00:19:07 - 00:19:22 | Speaker 2:

I think that he did it back in, like, the 80s. I don't know, it was the 90s maybe? I think it was maybe the 90s. And then they re-upped it, they dated it for some money. But if you're a college basketball fan and you love NCAA March Madness, you know that song. It's tradition. That's big time, yeah.

00:19:23 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 1:

In other local sports dirty, Tigers assistant general manager Sam Menzen quit his job with the club just as the Tigers were about to fire him amid an investigation into claims that he was sending some naughty pictures to female staff members. Three different women claim they received unsolicited photos, if you know what I mean. I don't even have to describe, you know, via Snapchat. And these allegations go back to as early as 2017. Now, two of these women worked for the Tigers. One of them did not, but she did work for MLB. In a statement, the Tigers said once they were made aware of the allegations, they promptly completed an investigation.

00:20:00 - 00:20:19 | Speaker 3:

Before the club could fire Sam, he ended up resigning. And as for why these allegations did not come to light sooner, one of the alleged victims told The Athletic, she was like, nobody would have believed us. It wasn't like it was like a ball boy or bat boy. Like, it was Sam.

00:20:20 - 00:20:21 | Speaker 1:

I don't even know who he is.

00:20:22 - 00:20:26 | Speaker 3:

She's like, nobody would have believed. Assistant general manager. That's a pretty big title.

00:20:26 - 00:20:44 | Speaker 1:

But he's been there since 2017, so he's been there when they were sucking, and I thought they got rid of their whole front office staff back then. He must be somebody closer to the team and stuff. That's interesting, because they brought in a whole bunch of guys that are the reason why we kind of rebuilt a little bit.

00:20:45 - 00:21:53 | Speaker 3:

Beyonce celebrating the launch of her hair care line, getting a spot on the shelves over at Ulta. Yeah, B. She debuted some platinum blonde hair in the process, which looks great, by the way. Excuse me. But the product line is called Sacred, although it's spelled C-E-C-R-E-D. It was previously only available on the company's website, but now you can pick them up at your local Ulta beauty stores like the brick and mortar stores, which really opens a larger market for Beyonce. But big, big party. Lots of celebrities in attendance for that. And lastly, Virginia Giuffre, she is the woman who accused Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew of trafficking her, has been released from the hospital after that car crash she experienced in Australia. But remember, back on March 30th, Virginia announced that she had only been given four days to live. So she has outlived what she says she was told. She also alleged that she was physically abused by her husband of 22 years, Robert. He disputes that, and in turn, he has filed a restraining order against her.

00:21:54 - 00:22:08 | Speaker 1:

Why is all of a sudden she the bad guy in this whole thing? Like, how come that changed so much? Like, it was like a story of her getting hit by a bus, and then, you know, we have already known that she's had such a horrible, you know, life with what happened to her.

00:22:08 - 00:22:26 | Speaker 3:

I know Prince, I believe it was Prince Andrew's ex came out to say that her story, she had admitted that the majority of her story was not true. Some of the allegations specifically about him were not true. I agree with you. She was still very much a part of whatever happened with this whole Epstein thing.

00:22:26 - 00:22:44 | Speaker 1:

But allegedly she admitted that it was not true. I feel like the royals are using their people to try to poke holes in her. Yeah. Knowing that she has a lot of stuff on them. I don't know. It just seems weird to me whenever all of a sudden it's like she's the victim and now she's being victimized. I don't know.

00:22:44 - 00:22:45 | Speaker 3:

She's the bad guy.

00:22:45 - 00:22:45 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:23:35 - 00:23:37 | Speaker 1:

Oh, really? What, you don't drive very much?

00:23:37 - 00:23:43 | Speaker 4:

Yes. No, when I bought it, it only had $45,000 on it, and it only has $60,000 now. Oh, man.

00:23:43 - 00:23:46 | Speaker 1:

So would you take the cash then, the $25,000?

00:23:47 - 00:23:50 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. I have a new driver in the house. He may benefit from this one.

00:25:00 - 00:25:36 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning Show. Phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is the telephone number. 844-665-6548. Good to have you here with us today. Boy, the Tigers looked good yesterday. They beat the Yankees. Did you see, by the way, the snow falling during that game? Oh, my God. I was stuck in some of that snow yesterday afternoon. It was like blizzard-like.

00:25:36 - 00:25:38 | Speaker 1:

It was big, fluffy snowflakes.

00:25:38 - 00:25:40 | Speaker 2:

Are you serious? It was crazy, yeah.

00:25:40 - 00:25:42 | Speaker 3:

Are we expecting more of that this week?

00:25:42 - 00:25:49 | Speaker 2:

I think that we're supposed to get snow today for opening pitch of the game. They're saying 1 o'clock today that they could have more snow like that.

00:25:49 - 00:25:49 | Speaker 3:

Let's go to the game.

00:25:50 - 00:26:10 | Speaker 2:

I don't know if they have. Hold on. Let me see if they have Jason Benetti with any of the call because I saw some highlights. Hold on a second here. Let's see. Snow Tigers. Jason Benetti, by the way, had some funny. Remember we were talking to him back? Here you go. Here you go. Oh, that's somebody just showing their thing.

00:26:10 - 00:26:11 | Speaker 1:

I love him so much.

00:26:17 - 00:26:28 | Speaker 2:

That's not Benetti, though. That's the New York broadcasters. He was kind of like, I think he said something kind of funny they were saying.

00:26:28 - 00:26:34 | Speaker 1:

Today, by the way, the coldest day of the week, so prepare yourself if you haven't gone

00:26:34 - 00:26:36 | Speaker 2:

outside yet. It's brutal right now, isn't it?

00:26:36 - 00:26:36 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:26:37 - 00:26:37 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:26:37 - 00:26:40 | Speaker 1:

It feels like 11 degrees. That's the real fill time right now in April.

00:26:42 - 00:27:14 | Speaker 2:

I walked outside this morning, and fair enough, I have my car in a garage, so I don't have to worry about, you know, my car, you know, being as cold as it would normally be if it was just sitting outside and um i forgot something inside so i had to like get out of my car and go back in and it was something i had to give to one of the sales people i was like i'm going right back in my car i'm not even going my house like i'm not even going to deal with this whole thing turning the alarm on and off and all that stuff and waking family up and stuff i love living in

00:27:14 - 00:27:27 | Speaker 1:

michigan i truly do but there are certain days of the year and this is one of them where audibly i will say why do i live here it's supposed to be it's so cold april showers made flowers not april

00:27:27 - 00:27:44 | Speaker 2:

snowflakes i know and then i'm superstitious too and this is like a weird thing i'm very superstitious about changing my routine and i noticed that we now have the parking lot across the street from the studios open in the morning wait so right across the street from the studios our parking

00:27:44 - 00:27:49 | Speaker 3:

lot too yeah yes i'm seeing a lot of people parking there oh i'm gonna and so but i can't

00:27:49 - 00:27:54 | Speaker 2:

switch because i've started parking in the other lot and so i feel like if i switch our ratings

00:27:54 - 00:28:02 | Speaker 1:

are gonna go bad don't listen put i i don't know i'm gonna park in the street still i i feel weird

00:28:02 - 00:28:39 | Speaker 2:

about it you know and i so i'm at a point now where i'm like okay everything's been all good we've all had you know uh a decent move in so far i mean i would say that it hasn't been horrible But the show sounds good and stuff. And I am. I'm worried about the ratings. Like, I just worry about, like, just because I moved my parking spot. You moved cities. I understand. And I was already that way. Do people get like that? Does any listeners get that way where you get so self-superstitious and freaked out by the fact that you don't want to change your routine because you're afraid that it will screw you up a little bit?

00:28:39 - 00:28:45 | Speaker 3:

I ain't going to cap. I got some superstitions. I'm a firm believer in the number five. I love the number five.

00:28:45 - 00:28:46 | Speaker 2:

That's a lucky number, by the way, for people.

00:28:47 - 00:29:09 | Speaker 3:

That's my lucky number. That's why I know, like, 2025, I've been looking forward to this year. It's going to be an incredible year simply because it ends at five. It's gotten to the point where I allow the number five to make decisions for me, where if I'm thinking of doing something or not doing something, I'll say, okay, if the numbers on the clock add up to a five, like if it's 1132, I'll say the last two digits are three and two. Together they make five. Maybe I don't need to do this thing.

00:29:09 - 00:29:12 | Speaker 2:

This is the whole Kobe thing. Everybody does this with Kobe for some reason.

00:29:13 - 00:29:27 | Speaker 3:

The eights and the twos and the... Paige Beckers, who won with UConn in the Women's National Championship this weekend, she said she knew it was going to be a good day because the hotel room her mom stayed in was 824. And she said Kobe is going around. Kobe was there. Yeah.

00:29:28 - 00:29:47 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. To me, I'm one of those people that will walk an extra block or so just because I think this. But then if I don't have any superstition to it, I'll circle a mall parking lot for an hour and a half to try to find a good parking spot up front.

00:29:47 - 00:29:51 | Speaker 1:

Cause you park, you park in the same, in front of the same store in the same area.

00:29:51 - 00:29:57 | Speaker 2:

I do, I do, but I have to have a good part. I have to have a good parking spot. Like I will not park at the end and just park there.

00:29:57 - 00:30:17 | Speaker 1:

I am so the opposite. Really? Anywhere I go. Yes, like, I was at Target over the weekend, and I, like, I hate the people that will wait and wait and wait and wait and wait for the second spot closest to the door. I'm like, you could have parked at the end and walked, and so I always will just park at the end. I try to park near, like, a cart return to make my life a little easier. That's about it. Yeah.

00:30:18 - 00:30:37 | Speaker 3:

Or if I find myself not being able to get a parking spot in front of the area of the mall that I always park in, I'll leave. I'll go, like, so I always might go to the mall. I always go to the mall, 12 Oaks, like right outside the Apple store there. And I have to park there. And if I can't find anything, which it's been hard lately. They've been crowded at the mall.

00:30:37 - 00:30:39 | Speaker 1:

The malls have been packed.

00:30:39 - 00:30:53 | Speaker 3:

Which, by the way, that has gotten to be so insane. I went to the bathroom the other day at the mall, and I was going to tell you guys, might be the dirtiest bathroom I've ever been in, the one at 12 Oaks. Oh, my God. They need to clean the bathroom across from the Apple store. What's up, Rachel?

00:30:55 - 00:30:57 | Speaker 4:

Kev just said my number. Five is my number.

00:30:58 - 00:31:01 | Speaker 3:

Uh-oh, she claims it, so you can't have it, Kevin. It's our number.

00:31:01 - 00:31:06 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah, no, I was born on the 5th. I'm one of five children. I live by the number five.

00:31:06 - 00:31:06 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:31:07 - 00:31:07 | Speaker 4:

I'm with you.

00:31:07 - 00:31:10 | Speaker 3:

Well, you guys share that. Isn't that nice? You guys have something in common now.

00:31:11 - 00:31:13 | Speaker 4:

That just kind of blew me away when he was like, the number five.

00:31:13 - 00:31:15 | Speaker 2:

I was like, hey, wait. Yeah, something to it.

00:31:15 - 00:31:20 | Speaker 3:

That's unbelievable. By the way, it's just a number. I mean, come on. Heather, what's up? Don't do that. What's up, Heather?

00:31:21 - 00:31:23 | Speaker 4:

Hi, good morning. Good morning. Hi.

00:31:25 - 00:31:37 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Mojo, real quick. Like, did you flush the toilet enough times? You know what I'm talking about, don't you? Yeah, absolutely. I have to flush the toilet, like, three times or so in the morning, every morning. I, like, flush and flush and flush.

00:31:37 - 00:31:39 | Speaker 4:

I mean, I don't flush the toilet that much, but.

00:31:39 - 00:32:00 | Speaker 3:

No, it's, like, it's weird. I have, like, a superstition with my frickin' flush in the toilet. It's gotten to a point that Chelsea will say, did you get sick last night? I'm like, no, that's just me flushing the toilet. I flush all the time like that. Yeah, I've talked about it before on the show. I flush the toilet like three times in the morning. Even if I don't go to the bathroom, I just flush the toilet three times.

00:32:00 - 00:32:10 | Speaker 2:

So how my toilet works, you have to flush it. And if you want to fully flush it again, you got to wait a second. Yeah, for the water to come back up a little bit. Are you waiting the four or three times?

00:32:10 - 00:32:13 | Speaker 3:

I sit there and I wait the whole time. Even if I'm running late, I do it. Yeah.

00:32:13 - 00:32:16 | Speaker 2:

You sure that's not just to get all the little extra boo-boos out?

00:32:16 - 00:32:18 | Speaker 3:

No, I think it started with that.

00:32:18 - 00:32:20 | Speaker 1:

Boo-boo particles. Yeah, the snowflakes.

00:32:20 - 00:32:28 | Speaker 3:

To be honest, I think it started with that. And then I had a really good day that day after that. It's Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55.

00:32:28 - 00:32:33 | Speaker 2:

5 and 6.55, yo, 5 and 6.55, yo, yo.

00:32:33 - 00:32:36 | Speaker 1:

I laugh so hard every time you say boo-boo. Boo-boo, boo-boo.

00:32:38 - 00:33:24 | Speaker 3:

All right, it's Mojo in the Mornings show. This has been a good one for us. The last week we've, or a couple weeks, we've had Nina on the show. And speaking of superstitions, she's going for 13 today. Hey, are you a superstitious person, Nina? A little bit. Is 13 kind of scaring you this morning? No, I think it's a good thing. All right, let's see. We got Stanley on the phone with us today. What's up, Stanley? Yeah, I'm smart. Hi, Stanley. Stanley's probably smart because you got to be smart with a name like Stanley. Listen to what he does for a living, too. Stanley works at Ford. He does 3D printing and inventory. Hi, Stanley. Hi, Mojo. What's going on? Stanley, with a name like that and a voice like that, you must have been an A student.

00:33:25 - 00:33:32 | Speaker 2:

Yes, I was an A student. See that? Watch out. Nina. He got a pocket protector on right now. You got a pocket protector on?

00:33:35 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 3:

Stanley? Okay. Yeah? Do you have a pocket protector? No. Okay. He's too young for it. He's 28 years old, Stanley is. All right. I'm locking you up in a soundproof area, Nina. Good luck to both of you guys on this 5 at 6.55 superstitious 13th try. Stanley, five questions. Whoever gets the most right wins. Ty goes to the champion. This is Kev's lucky five questions. Question number one. This pregnant daughter of President Trump wore blue to her baby shower over the weekend, which has everyone thinking that she is having a baby boy. What's her name? Tiffany. Question number two, the Pistons fell to the Kings last night. What city are the Kings from? Sacramento. Question number three, after two decades of feuding, Madonna and this tiny dancer music icon have finally buried the hatchet. Who is he? Elton John. Question number four, tax day is fast approaching. It's generally the same day every year. What day is it? April 15th. And question number five, Beyonce just launched a new hair care product, which, by the way, will be sold at Ulta. It's called Sacred. Name one of Beyonce's former Destiny child.

00:35:00 - 00:38:00 | Speaker 1:

bandmates uh so uh so lunch let's bring the champ back from a soundproof area he rolled along you did yeah that last one tripped up a little bit four to five nice four out of five nina and i don't think these questions are easy i really don't so let's see what happens i think it might be like yesterday a little bit more difficult question number one for your 13th try this pregnant daughter of President Trump wore blue to her baby shower over the weekend, which has everyone thinking that she's having a baby boy. What's her name? Three seconds. I don't know. Tiffany. Tiffany is correct. Wow. Wow. Just barely. Question number two. The Pistons fell to the Kings last night. What city are the Kings from? Checker Manon Yes Two to two Question number three After two decades of feuding Madonna and this tiny dancer music icon Have finally buried the hatchet Who is he? Elton John Three to three You gotta get these next two questions right In order to stay our champion If you miss even one of them Well I guess you can win with a tie She'll have to miss both of these Okay Stanley Question number four Tax day is fast approaching. It's generally the same day every year. What day is it? April 15th? Yes! 44! And a perfect score if you get this question right. It's the only one that Stanley missed. Beyonce just launched a new hair care line at Ulta. It's called Sacred. Name one of Beyonce's former Destiny's Child bandmates. Kelly Rowland. There you go! Kelly! Congratulations, our champion and winner of the 5 at 6.55. I guess we can't play the all I do is win, win, win anymore. Otherwise, we can't podcast this thing. Supposedly. Oh, bro, we can't. Are you kidding me? Supposedly DJ Khaled doesn't allow us to play the music anymore and podcast it. That's tradition. No, we see. We were just talking about superstition. We can't divert from it. What if we record our own? That's what we have to do. So, all I do is win, win, win, no matter what. Nina got her 13th and a nice butt. Nina, congratulations back tomorrow. Stanley, we got a parting gift for you, okay? All right. Hang on the phone for just one second. I know it's kind of anticlimactic. I was wondering what happened. The company came to Zach and told Zach he had to edit it out. It would have sounded worse if we podcasted it. You got a $50 gift card to Checkers. Stanley, keep making great cars and trucks over at Ford. Okay, buddy? All right. Thank you. Appreciate you. Stay healthy. It's Mojo in the Mornings 5 at 6.55. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations.

00:38:01 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 1:

One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning live. All right. It is Mojo in the Morning. Good to have you guys here with us today. I got pulled over yesterday. Really? Yes. What were you doing? Do you guys, do you know the feeling that you get when you see those flashing lights behind you? It's like numb. My whole body goes numb. Oh, it's the worst. And then the worst thing about getting pulled over is then you start thinking, oh my God, what the hell did I do? Because you don't know exactly what you did. And you're thinking, oh my God, this is crazy. Like, am I going to get, you know, in trouble? Am I going to get arrested? And I'm like, oh, well, I wasn't doing anything wrong. I don't know what I, you know, the whole thing. And then you start thinking to yourself, where is all my stuff? You know what I'm talking about? Like, you know how the cop comes up to the front side of the door and the cop, when the cops come up to you and start talking to you, they're like, yes, license, registration, DNA test. I always have to think, is it my registration I need or my insurance I need? What do I need to give to that? Is it both? License, insurance, registration. I have that on my wallet. So I normally have an envelope that Mona over at Gordon Chevrolet will give me and she gives it to me. It's a really cool thing, and it says everything. It says, you know, license, registration, whatever, and I'll put it in there. The problem, though, is I'm that guy that when the insurance renews or I get new license tabs, I just keep throwing paperwork in the thing. So I pull this thing out, and it looks like a file folder of stuff. And so I ended up handing the guy, the cop, my, you know, papers, and it was like, no, that's 2023. No, that's, you know, I'm kind of going through the whole thing. So long story short, I got pulled over because my tags were expired. And here's the craziest part. They were expired by two years. For real? But I know that. I like that. I know. I do. I was riding dirty. I've lived that life. I love it.

00:40:00 - 00:40:03 | Speaker 2:

Really? But I feel like you're the type that renews your tags.

00:40:03 - 00:40:04 | Speaker 3:

You didn't renew your tags?

00:40:05 - 00:40:08 | Speaker 2:

I have renewed them, but I just never put them on my car, I guess.

00:40:08 - 00:40:08 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay.

00:40:09 - 00:40:17 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. But I think Kevin's right, though. I think I... Shout out to everybody that's listening to us that's cool and a criminal. Hell yeah. I think I got some street cred yesterday.

00:40:17 - 00:40:19 | Speaker 1:

No insurance. All that.

00:40:19 - 00:40:26 | Speaker 2:

Right? Thank you, guys. I appreciate that. I even called the police the fuzz, you know? The po-po. The po-po.

00:40:26 - 00:40:28 | Speaker 1:

The po-po.

00:40:28 - 00:40:29 | Speaker 2:

I don't know.

00:40:29 - 00:40:30 | Speaker 1:

Is Dukes of Hazzard?

00:40:30 - 00:40:34 | Speaker 2:

What do you call them? What do you call them? What do you call cops?

00:40:35 - 00:40:38 | Speaker 1:

Cops. Popo. Sometimes they say the boys. The boys. That's kind of, yeah.

00:40:39 - 00:40:44 | Speaker 2:

All right, so he goes back and, you know, it was actually 12.

00:40:45 - 00:41:03 | Speaker 1:

Honestly, can't they check that on their computer in their car? It's 2025. Why do I need to carry my license, my insurance, my registration? It's all in a database. You should be able to see that I have my tags. What is a little sticker going to do? Dude, after getting the real ID, they literally know everything about you.

00:41:03 - 00:41:05 | Speaker 2:

That's how Big Gretch gets our money.

00:41:05 - 00:41:13 | Speaker 1:

But I'm saying, let's do all the things, but why do I have to have it on my car in order for it to be, quote, unquote, valid? I understand.

00:41:13 - 00:41:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it should all be right now.

00:41:15 - 00:41:16 | Speaker 1:

It's in the computer. Yeah.

00:41:16 - 00:41:21 | Speaker 2:

Pretty soon they're going to have AI cops. You watch. They're going to be like a robot pulling you over on the side of the road.

00:41:21 - 00:41:24 | Speaker 1:

Damn, the lady show her boobs. AI ain't going to care.

00:41:24 - 00:41:24 | Speaker 2:

I don't know.

00:41:25 - 00:41:27 | Speaker 1:

AI ain't going to care none about them.

00:41:27 - 00:41:39 | Speaker 2:

But actually, speaking of that, that is actually funny. So the cop was really cool. He was actually a really nice guy. And he came up, and he actually just gave me, he wrote me a warning. Didn't pull the mojo thing, so I didn't pull that.

00:41:40 - 00:41:41 | Speaker 3:

Do you pull the mojo thing?

00:41:41 - 00:41:46 | Speaker 2:

Sometimes. Sometimes I sit there and I go, hey, I don't know if you've ever listened.

00:41:46 - 00:41:49 | Speaker 1:

No, you do not. Slowly starts turning.

00:41:49 - 00:41:52 | Speaker 2:

And then if the guy says, yeah, you look kind of like J. Towers.

00:41:53 - 00:41:55 | Speaker 3:

You have something in your tooth, by the way, and I can't talk to you.

00:41:55 - 00:41:56 | Speaker 2:

Where?

00:41:56 - 00:41:58 | Speaker 3:

It's big and red. on the right-hand side.

00:41:58 - 00:42:04 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's from my... Let me see. In his teeth. My Starbucks roasted white...

00:42:04 - 00:42:06 | Speaker 3:

Sorry, I cannot take you seriously anymore.

00:42:06 - 00:42:08 | Speaker 2:

Pepper... Hold on.

00:42:08 - 00:42:11 | Speaker 3:

Oh, God, it's still there. I can't see it from Washington. How? You can see it from Ohio.

00:42:12 - 00:42:17 | Speaker 2:

Maybe his gum's bleeding. I can't see it. Don't you understand that I got pulled over yesterday?

00:42:17 - 00:42:25 | Speaker 3:

I'm sorry. I told... I couldn't see it. I can't look at you. I'm trying to be a good friend.

00:42:25 - 00:42:32 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so let me get back to my story here, because I've got a good story to tell you.

00:42:32 - 00:42:34 | Speaker 3:

You do this to me in the dirty every day I owed you.

00:42:34 - 00:43:31 | Speaker 2:

All right, it might be still there, but I'll fix it in an hour from now when I'm hungry. So I asked the cop, I said to him, I go, hey, can I ask you a question? Because I'm always inquisitive on this. What is the craziest story to get out of a ticket that you ever had? Because every cop has one of these. And by the way, if you've ever done something crazy to get out of a ticket, you'll have to call us up and tell us. or if you're a cop, you'll have to call us up and tell us the stories. Here was his, and I actually voice texted this to myself because I wanted to make sure I got it right. So let me read it off my voice text here. So one of the funniest reasons that someone reportedly tried to get out of a traffic ticket involved the driver who was pulled over for speeding. When the officer approached and asked why you were going so fast, the driver responded, I'm sorry, officer, but I have a meeting with my wife, and if I'm late, she'll be much scarier than any ticket. And the officer thought that was so funny and actually let him off of the ticket.

00:43:31 - 00:43:31 | Speaker 1:

That is great.

00:43:32 - 00:43:33 | Speaker 2:

That is actually pretty good.

00:43:33 - 00:43:33 | Speaker 1:

I like that.

00:43:33 - 00:43:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so I thought that was actually a good one. But I asked, I said, do you have any boobs that have ever been shown to you? He goes, no, no boobs at all. I've never gotten the boob thing. I said, would the boob thing work? Because I'll show you right now. Boobs to me would scare me, though. Like, if somebody, if I was a police officer and a woman flashed her boobs to me, I think I would think I'm being part of, like, a hidden camera thing.

00:43:59 - 00:44:02 | Speaker 1:

Can't they see that on the cameras they have now? Oh, now they can.

00:44:02 - 00:44:03 | Speaker 2:

Their body cams, yeah.

00:44:03 - 00:44:13 | Speaker 1:

On the body cams? I would, yeah. And speaking of AI, I feel like they have it logged into the system to recognize certain objects and, like, flag it or something. That's just how my brain works.

00:44:13 - 00:44:28 | Speaker 2:

I'm always amazed whenever you hear the story about the cop that ended up having, like, backseat loving in his car. Like, you hear the story, like, police officer got locked in the back of his squad car, you know, not realizing it.

00:44:28 - 00:44:31 | Speaker 1:

Yes. I'm not mad at that, though, to be honest.

00:44:31 - 00:44:32 | Speaker 3:

I mean, well.

00:44:32 - 00:44:33 | Speaker 2:

What do you mean?

00:44:33 - 00:44:46 | Speaker 3:

We've had listeners that that's how they get, like, dates. They go on dates with the police officer that pulled them over. And if that's you, by the way, I know we've talked to several of you. please call us right now because it's the perfect opportunity i take that back i feel like there

00:44:46 - 00:45:28 | Speaker 1:

are certain professions that are placed at a higher level we expect more of them but like you know if we dipped out of studio during a replay of war of roses and got something like you know that'd be so bad but we're not in the line of duty. That's what I'm saying. They're actually trying to, you know, there's a sense of power there of those guys. This one is from 248. Can't call in, but I faked a baby about to be born when I was pregnant once and got out of a ticket. I would worry that the cop would want to follow you to the hospital. For sure. You have to make sure that you're going to the hospital. Escort. What's up, David? What did you tell a state trooper to get out of a ticket?

00:45:28 - 00:46:05 | Speaker 2:

um he he pulled me over for driving left the center i was working at the time in a semi truck i told the officer i was adjusting in my seat and i sat on a testicle really and he let you go absolutely let me go he knows that feeling right i i would assume so it did not happen but it was a great like on the spot i was like i can't get a ticket while i'm working so i sat on a testicle while i was adjusting and that's what caused me to go left the center officer oh that's you could see he was trying not to bust bust laughter but it worked yeah i've used it once and it's a great

00:46:05 - 00:46:15 | Speaker 1:

if anyone else wants to it's yours it's yours yeah shannon you gotta uh understand that is one of the worst painful things ever when you sit on your testicle it's like though it's the worst

00:46:15 - 00:46:22 | Speaker 3:

it's like never gotten out of a ticket i have never never um sherry hate them all sherry what's

00:46:22 - 00:46:33 | Speaker 5:

up hi hi yeah i i didn't get out of a ticket but i was dating a cop once and this was back when marijuana wasn't legal i was having a not so good day he pulled off on the side of the road

00:46:33 - 00:47:06 | Speaker 1:

flipped the flashes on let me smoke one wow wow so you so that that was and that was you're right that was at a point you if you had marijuana on you man that was like it was good that was like big time drugs at the time they were looking for that stuff they would always look for the smell too i did notice when the cop pulled me over uh that he leaned into the car looking to see if he could smell anything yeah i think he was trying to see if he could smell like alcohol or anything like that i'm like oh that's i kind of understand that uh what's up marissa hi um so i didn't get

00:47:06 - 00:47:23 | Speaker 6:

pulled over or anything but i was driving through pontiac and i was driving like this hoopty it was the Monte Carlo, and it had a black fender on it, and this cop was eyeballing me, and I leaned over to the passenger side. I was like, excuse me, sir, do you have any Grey Poupons?

00:47:26 - 00:47:27 | Speaker 3:

Do you remember that commercial cat?

00:47:28 - 00:47:28 | Speaker 1:

No.

00:47:28 - 00:47:29 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay.

00:47:29 - 00:47:32 | Speaker 1:

What did the cop do? Did he laugh at it?

00:47:33 - 00:47:39 | Speaker 6:

He laughed at me, shook his head, and then he drove away as a Southern Lake cop, so I thought for sure he was going to pull me over.

00:47:39 - 00:47:53 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's funny. That's great. Those guys, by the way, love pulling you over. Man, the smaller city cops. What's up, Michelle? Oh, it's Michelle from MSU PD. What's going on, Michelle? Hi, guys. Good morning.

00:47:53 - 00:47:54 | Speaker 4:

Good morning.

00:47:54 - 00:47:55 | Speaker 1:

Go green.

00:47:56 - 00:47:57 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, go white.

00:47:57 - 00:48:01 | Speaker 1:

I'll be up there, by the way, for Dad's Day on Saturday, Michelle. Yeah. On Saturday?

00:48:01 - 00:48:02 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Pull him over.

00:48:03 - 00:48:04 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. What's going on?

00:48:05 - 00:48:59 | Speaker 4:

Well, you know, I got a new car last year. Okay, so I got an Explorer ST. It's fast, right? So I don't know how to drive this thing. And so one of my surgeons, he said, you haven't pulled over yet? I said, no, I don't drive that fast. I'm coming home from the airport, and I'm driving down Middle Belt 53 in a 35. I wasn't even paying attention. And he lit me up, and I was like, okay. And he said, where do you work? And I said, I'm going my way back to work. He said, where do you work? I said, is she at the University Police Department? He said, okay. And then he went and he took my license and everything. He was pretty nice. But then he said, when he came back, he says, can you please slow down, Michelle? and don't ever tell anybody you work for a police department again wait oh really why he asked you where you work why would you not tell him what are you gonna do lie exactly he said don't tell don't don't say that and i said why you know yeah he says well you're trying to get out of get out get out of it i'm not trying to get out you asked me where i work i have so many cop friends and

00:48:59 - 00:49:02 | Speaker 1:

they always say it right away they always tell them that they're a police officer do cops give

00:49:02 - 00:49:07 | Speaker 4:

exactly my sergeant said the same thing he said you should always tell them that and a lot of

00:49:07 - 00:49:11 | Speaker 1:

people are carrying too they always tell them right away i by the way i have my uh side arm

00:49:11 - 00:49:24 | Speaker 4:

absolutely do cops give other cops tickets you yeah you know what i don't know that's a good question i've not heard of one getting the ticket yeah that's what i'm saying find out you know

00:49:24 - 00:49:38 | Speaker 1:

what's interesting they a rumor from one of my cop buddies is he never gives another police officer ticket no more military get ticket and nobody that works in a hospital for sure because they do not want to be on that gurney one day and have that person looking over them going,

00:49:38 - 00:49:50 | Speaker 3:

I got a ticket for me. And you remember, you remember the police officers that give you tickets. Like, I'll go to events in my town and if, like, you know, the police are there for security purposes or whatever, I can pick out the ones that give you tickets.

00:49:50 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 1:

I find that's an unwritten rule. That's got to be part of the code. By the way, I found it. I got it out of my tooth. Look at, it's right there. Look how big that is. Here, let me give that to you.

00:50:00 - 00:50:01 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God, don't care.

00:50:01 - 00:50:02 | Unknown:

Put it in a Kleenex.

00:50:02 - 00:50:10 | Speaker 3:

Right there. Oh, my God. Enjoy it. It's out of my tooth. I actually did an investigative report on it. I can't get enough.

00:50:11 - 00:50:19 | Speaker 1:

Tell me about how we cheated on you five times already and is doing it again. Another world-famous War of the Roses happens at 740 on Mojo in the Morning.

00:50:19 - 00:50:27 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning. So Kev says he's not using it for hookups, but he's using it as a means of social media.

00:50:27 - 00:50:28 | Speaker 2:

Exactly.

00:50:28 - 00:50:29 | Speaker 3:

And what is it? Tinder.

00:50:30 - 00:51:13 | Speaker 2:

I am a firm believer that, yes, there are certain dating apps where people are looking to find love. And you got your Bumbles, you got your Christian Mingles, you got all the things. I feel like the way Tinder is set up, yes, it can be used as a means to find love or to find somebody to bake, you know, that good cookie session with. Or it can just be used like an Instagram, which is how I use it. I've never met up with anybody on Tinder, but I have my profile set to me being attracted to women. And I don't even pay for Tinder, first off, so I'm on a little free version plan. But it's basically Instagram without having to look at food and dudes.

00:51:14 - 00:51:18 | Speaker 5:

So you just go on there to look at girls, and you don't talk to anybody.

00:51:18 - 00:51:22 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I may chat up, but I'm not trying to meet anybody or anything like that.

00:51:22 - 00:51:30 | Speaker 5:

Do you, from Tinder, see a hot girl, get her name, and then go into Instagram to check her profile there and DM her? Have you ever done that?

00:51:32 - 00:51:45 | Speaker 2:

Sometimes they'll have it listed in their bio, like if they're really trying to be seen, and they'll put it there. But that's it. And then some people have three pictures that they post. Some people have like 10 pictures that they post. It feels like Instagram.

00:51:45 - 00:52:03 | Speaker 3:

So there's not – I think you're bringing this up because we were talking yesterday to people like, what did you find in your significant other's phone, right? and when that person said that they found that their boyfriend of a year was on tinder you right away were quick to defend him going oh i got tinder on my phone i'm you know i don't use it

00:52:03 - 00:52:10 | Speaker 2:

for hookups like look at brie 25 18 miles away right this to me feels like i'm looking at an

00:52:10 - 00:52:20 | Speaker 3:

instagram page so you're just looking at her picture and then what do you do from there and then i'm gonna hit like and you hit like and then what if she says hey you want to go out tonight That doesn't happen on my Instagram page.

00:52:21 - 00:52:22 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you got the wrong DMs.

00:52:24 - 00:52:35 | Speaker 3:

Oh, so you are looking for it for hookups, too. No, I'm not. So then the actual topic should not be, I don't use Tinder for anything other than social media. It should be, I use Instagram to hook up.

00:52:35 - 00:52:39 | Speaker 2:

I think everybody, you can hook up on any social media platform.

00:52:39 - 00:52:39 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:52:39 - 00:52:47 | Speaker 2:

I'm just saying, Tinder doesn't have to be an exclusive hookup app. Okay. You can view it like social media and just keep it moving.

00:52:47 - 00:52:55 | Speaker 5:

I mean, if Wes had Tinder on his phone and gave me that excuse, I'm not buying it. Why? What's the difference from him? I am not buying it.

00:52:55 - 00:52:58 | Speaker 2:

What's the difference of him following all the fan models on Instagram?

00:52:58 - 00:53:07 | Speaker 5:

You're right. I guess it's just, it's the rep that the app has. The purpose of it is for hooking up.

00:53:08 - 00:53:21 | Speaker 3:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Is this true? My favorite texter is Katie who texted and said, if Megan were there, she'd be screaming, Liza Minnelli.

00:53:22 - 00:53:38 | Speaker 5:

Okay, here's the other thing as I think about this more. If you are on Tinder, everybody thinks your intention is to date or hook up. Okay. Like you are all there, quote unquote, for the same reason. So I'm not thinking that you're just on there to like photos.

00:53:38 - 00:53:46 | Speaker 2:

Well, you can select why you're there. You can put it short term, long term, or a lot of people have just friends, looking for just friends.

00:53:46 - 00:53:47 | Speaker 3:

And what do you have it clicked as?

00:53:47 - 00:53:48 | Speaker 2:

I don't know what I got it on.

00:53:48 - 00:53:55 | Speaker 5:

But to me, if you're putting just friends on Tinder, that's like you want it no strings attached, just hook up and be done. I think that's what short term is. That doesn't mean just friends.

00:53:56 - 00:53:59 | Speaker 3:

I don't think he has it as just friends, though. There's no way Kevin's looking for just friends.

00:53:59 - 00:54:00 | Speaker 5:

I think I put short term on there.

00:54:01 - 00:54:02 | Speaker 3:

Hey, is this Myra?

00:54:04 - 00:54:05 | Speaker 4:

Yes, it is. Hi.

00:54:05 - 00:54:11 | Speaker 3:

What's your thoughts on Kevin and his lies of Manellian going here?

00:54:11 - 00:54:43 | Speaker 4:

Well, Tinder is a hookup. However, I put a lot of videos on TikTok, and I got just a few pictures of myself, a lot of videos of my son because he dances at Juilliard. Oh, my gosh. I get people DMing me asking for, are you looking for a sugar daddy, or I just want to be your friend. And my kids are saying, don't answer them. That's a scam. And I'm like, shoot, I can use a sugar dotty to help me take that. All right, you got a boy a junior.

00:54:45 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 3:

Right. By the way, Mira, I want you to know that I use Snapchat just for magic tricks. That's my thing. Oh, my God. To make pictures from your girls go away. That's my thing. Kevin's got the most bogus.

00:55:00 - 00:55:07 | Speaker 5:

explanations to things. He, like, tries to explain it like, yeah, no, I'm not on Tinder just to hook up. By the way, what did you have your settings set at?

00:55:07 - 00:55:13 | Speaker 6:

I don't know how to... Zach, you gotta come show me what I got. Probably short term, but I can't find it. What's up, Dallas?

00:55:14 - 00:55:17 | Speaker 3:

What's going on, guys? How y'all doing today? Good morning. Good. What are your thoughts on

00:55:17 - 00:55:41 | Speaker 5:

what Kev's talking about? What's that? Did we lose him again? Dallas, where'd you go? I don't know. He got disconnected there. Dallas, call back. Call us back. Zach, look and see what his thing is about. What's your set-up, Zach? Short-term fun. Wait, do you think short-term is a good way to get girls to talk to you? It's working out for me. Really?

00:55:42 - 00:55:45 | Speaker 2:

How many times are you meeting up with a girl from Tinder? A week?

00:55:46 - 00:55:48 | Speaker 5:

Oh, a month. A month, probably like two.

00:55:49 - 00:55:49 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

00:55:49 - 00:55:51 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. Dallas is back. Dallas?

00:55:53 - 00:56:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, sorry about that, guys. Yeah, when I travel, I'll get on Tinder. And, you know, just to make friends, that way when you get to a certain location, you have, they can refer you to good places to go, or you'll have somebody to hang out with and show you the ropes without necessarily trying to hook up with them.

00:56:10 - 00:56:12 | Speaker 5:

But how much are you hooking up with them?

00:56:13 - 00:56:16 | Speaker 3:

Oh, it's been a while. I haven't done it in a long time.

00:56:16 - 00:56:16 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

00:56:17 - 00:56:18 | Speaker 3:

But I have before, I mean.

00:56:18 - 00:56:19 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, right. Okay.

00:56:19 - 00:56:21 | Speaker 3:

So it's not always for that. See?

00:56:21 - 00:56:24 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Just show you the ropes. So you're just looking for tour guides. They should call it.

00:56:26 - 00:56:28 | Speaker 3:

Tour guide. Tour guide. I've done that. Absolutely.

00:56:29 - 00:56:29 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:56:30 - 00:56:37 | Speaker 3:

And then you have somebody that's a little more trustworthy, so you build up that rapport and that friendship beforehand. Sure. You know.

00:56:38 - 00:56:45 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I use it. I use Tinder just so I can have somebody that shares the same food with me at restaurants.

00:56:45 - 00:56:51 | Speaker 6:

Don't discount his reality and people out there who aren't just smashing on these apps. It's more than that.

00:56:52 - 00:57:08 | Speaker 5:

You guys use it. By the way, is there not an app? They should have an app called Ghosted. why have they not had an app called ghosted it's like what would it be just have the app as ghosted and that would be the dating thing and just say hey it's a perfect place to get ghosted on and then why would i want to go on that because some people sometimes just don't they want a one and

00:57:08 - 00:57:14 | Speaker 2:

done you know i don't know i mean that could be tinder yeah but if they haven't had that i'm

00:57:14 - 00:57:35 | Speaker 1:

gonna buy it what's up lara hi hey good morning um so my thoughts are if you're in a committed relationship you should never have any type of dating app on your phone um it's just not the right you know idea and if you're single casually seeing someone and they're aware of it then by

00:57:35 - 00:57:54 | Speaker 5:

all means go ahead kevin uses zillow to hook up with girls like he he wants to see what kind of The beds and houses they have. That's what I use my Kroger app for. Happy birthday today, too. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Thank you. Happy birthday. Have a great day. Dustin, what's going on?

00:57:56 - 00:57:59 | Speaker 4:

My thought on Snapchat is if you have Snapchat, you're just doing that to cheat.

00:58:00 - 00:58:01 | Speaker 5:

Believe me.

00:58:01 - 00:58:01 | Speaker 4:

That's insane.

00:58:02 - 00:58:06 | Speaker 5:

Although there are people that that's the only form of communication. They use that as their way to text people.

00:58:06 - 00:58:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, my kids are like that. That's all they have is Snapchat. But if you need an app that automatically deletes messages. Yeah.

00:58:13 - 00:58:19 | Speaker 5:

If you're a grown-ass man or a grown-ass woman, you're on Snapchat, you're probably doing it for some kind of a shady reason, right?

00:58:20 - 00:58:24 | Speaker 4:

The wrong reasons. The wrong reasons. Exactly. Kev, you got Snapchat on there? Nope.

00:58:25 - 00:58:25 | Speaker 5:

No?

00:58:25 - 00:58:26 | Speaker 6:

No, but you know who does?

00:58:26 - 00:58:26 | Speaker 5:

Who?

00:58:27 - 00:58:27 | Speaker 6:

Bianca.

00:58:27 - 00:58:28 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

00:58:28 - 00:58:33 | Speaker 6:

And I think she has one of the highest consecutive days of posting of anyone in the world.

00:58:33 - 00:58:36 | Speaker 5:

How do you know that if you're not on that? She showed me. Oh, okay.

00:58:36 - 00:58:41 | Speaker 6:

She showed me, sir. Do you get awards for the thing? You got to ask, right? I don't know. Okay.

00:58:41 - 00:58:45 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I actually have a snap streak of like 3,800 days, which is like nine years.

00:58:46 - 00:58:46 | Speaker 5:

Wow.

00:58:46 - 00:58:48 | Speaker 1:

In a row. Holy hell.

00:58:48 - 00:58:50 | Speaker 5:

And how many wieners have been sent to you on that Snapchat?

00:58:53 - 00:58:55 | Speaker 1:

How do you say not saying that?

00:58:55 - 00:59:32 | Speaker 5:

00:59:33 - 00:59:35 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:59:35 - 00:59:42 | Speaker 5:

We'll get you caught up on what's trending in the Dirty on the 30. We are moments away from busting a cheater in the War of the Roses. Don't go anywhere.

00:59:42 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 2:

Rumors of a breakup between Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift are trending online at the moment. You may have come across this yesterday or today. I just want to clear the air here a little bit. All of my sources, every single one, are confirming to me that the couple is very much still together. Sorry, Mojo. The PR stunt continues.

01:00:00 - 01:00:29 | Speaker 1:

you say uh the couple decided to take a break from the public eye after being heavily involved in their respective tours with obviously his football season and the chiefs making it all the way to the super bowl she was everywhere with the eras tour but i think them not getting so much press has led to speculation of a split because people aren't seeing them like out and about everywhere but nope they are just enjoying normal life and laying low at the moment but still where

01:00:29 - 01:00:34 | Speaker 2:

Where she be, by the way, because we do not hear that they are hanging out with each other.

01:00:34 - 01:00:41 | Speaker 1:

I actually did see them out in going out to dinner or wherever they were going in New York City the other day.

01:00:41 - 01:00:42 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really? OK.

01:00:42 - 01:00:42 | Speaker 1:

She's chilling, bro.

01:00:42 - 01:01:22 | Speaker 2:

She just got off tour for like two years. But they usually are out and about, like even last season between the time that they won the Super Bowl and then played the new season. It seemed like they were everywhere together. I know he's really focused on the podcast, and they've been having some great guests. Did you see the Matthew Stafford interview at all? Awesome interview. By the way, Matthew Stafford, I don't know if you got this this morning in the dirty. Is he highest paid quarterback now? Highest paid player ever. Yeah. What are they thinking with this? I mean, the guy, he's getting old. It's long in the tooth. It's for him. But his interview on Travis and Jason's podcast is amazing.

01:01:23 - 01:01:25 | Speaker 1:

I want to listen to that one.

01:01:25 - 01:01:28 | Speaker 2:

And watch it, too, because it's really cool to watch, you know, to see them.

01:01:28 - 01:01:39 | Speaker 3:

I want Taylor to get pregnant. Okay. And I want it to happen in a couple of months so that she can have the baby around next year's Super Bowl. Oh, okay. And then he retires. Oh, okay.

01:01:39 - 01:02:54 | Speaker 1:

You've got their whole story figured out. Speaking of Taylor, another story about her. Blake Lively has apparently apologized to her friend for dragging her into this messy, ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni. It really affected their friendship from everything I've gathered about the situation. And if you aren't aware, Taylor named in the It Ends With Us co-stars legal dispute after Justin claimed, well, Justin sued Blake Lively for $400 million. And Blake Lively tried to use Taylor's influence really as leverage to gain creative control of the film. At least that's how the story goes. It was important to Blake to be on good terms again with Taylor. It was never her intention to hurt her or cause any harm to their friendship. you know throughout this legal battle so she hopes they can put this whole thing behind them and just move forward at this point after a two decade long beef madonna and elton john have buried the hatchet i did not even know that this was a thing what are they beefing about um okay so i didn't i didn't know what happened here kem to your point back in 2002 elton john said that Madonna's Die Another Day was the worst James Bond theme song of all time.

01:02:54 - 01:02:55 | Speaker 2:

It was, by the way. I don't remember that.

01:02:55 - 01:03:09 | Speaker 1:

Okay, it started with that, and then he continued to throw digs over the years. Every time she won an award for something, he would say very publicly, she wasn't talented, she didn't have good songs anymore, she wasn't good live, she lip syncs everything, and so on. Man, he's right on everything.

01:03:09 - 01:03:11 | Speaker 3:

So, I mean... Don't say that. That's a long song.

01:03:11 - 01:03:27 | Speaker 1:

Well, she posted a photo to Instagram yesterday. It shows her giving Elton a side hug. She reported that they are on the same page at long last Writing, we finally buried the hatchet I went to see Elton John perform on SNL this weekend And then she wrote, wow, in all caps

01:03:27 - 01:03:29 | Speaker 2:

Here's something to that, man

01:03:29 - 01:03:31 | Speaker 3:

Like, why was he digging at her like that?

01:03:31 - 01:03:35 | Speaker 2:

It's just two old broads Yeah, I mean, yeah They all sat with each other Yeah, yeah

01:03:35 - 01:03:44 | Speaker 3:

That's true Don't let the sun go down on me

01:03:44 - 01:04:00 | Speaker 2:

By the way, his best music is from The Lion King. Facts, bro. Circle of Life. I have that in my car. Tiny Dancer. Tiny Dancer's great, but I'm telling you, Circle of Life or the theme from the movie is like the greatest.

01:04:00 - 01:04:09 | Speaker 3:

The one when Nala fell in that bed of grass. What? Tilt her nose down and the moonlight kind of show it on her face. Have you seen Mufasa? Of course.

01:04:09 - 01:04:12 | Speaker 1:

Like four times. Way better music. I always want to. No, no.

01:04:12 - 01:04:19 | Speaker 2:

You don't say that about Elton. Way better music. I will double down on that. Elton, come after that lady there now.

01:04:20 - 01:04:30 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, the Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated their 2024 World Series championship at the White House yesterday with President Trump greeting them in the East Room. They were there for about, it was like a 20-minute ceremony.

01:04:30 - 01:04:34 | Speaker 2:

Did you see Shohei Ohtani walking around and taking pictures with the Declaration of Independence and stuff?

01:04:34 - 01:04:38 | Speaker 1:

Well, I did hear that the president said Shohei Ohtani looks like a movie star.

01:04:38 - 01:04:38 | Speaker 2:

He did.

01:04:39 - 01:04:39 | Speaker 1:

Very mesmerized.

01:04:39 - 01:04:49 | Speaker 2:

By the way, also, there's a couple of Dodgers that had a beef with Trump and didn't like him, including Mookie Betts. He showed up and they had some pictures together.

01:04:50 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 1:

Skipped the Red Sox visit to the White House back in 2019. He was there yesterday. He said over the weekend he regretted not going back.

01:05:00 - 01:05:06 | Speaker 7:

19 because the decision took away from his teammates at the time so he was he was in i think

01:05:06 - 01:05:27 | Speaker 2:

we're done with the players protesting going because i think sure i think well yeah because i think that what we're having here right now is we're having where they're saying okay i you know i may not like the guy but i respect the office and i think a lot of these people they're missing out on an opportunity to go to the white house you know what i mean like he didn't say that though

01:05:27 - 01:05:34 | Speaker 3:

He just said he was a distraction the last time from his teammates. He didn't say nothing about respecting the office and going to the White House. From what I just heard, Shannon said.

01:05:34 - 01:05:36 | Speaker 2:

So he doesn't respect any president?

01:05:36 - 01:05:44 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. All I'm saying is just from what Shannon said of his reasons why he went this time as opposed to not going the last time is because last time it took away from his teammates.

01:05:44 - 01:06:12 | Speaker 2:

Well, he looked, I mean, I looked at some of the press conference stuff and it looked like they were, you know. Chummy chum. Chummy chum chum. But I will say this. I think, you know, if I don't like somebody, if I don't, you know, like a president or the governor or the mayor or whoever it is, I'm still going to respect the position that they have. But also, I don't want to miss out on, like, my field trip to go to the White House. You know what I mean? I want the opportunity to take a picture in the Oval Office. I'm with you.

01:06:12 - 01:06:12 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

01:06:12 - 01:06:12 | Speaker 2:

I feel that.

01:06:13 - 01:06:19 | Speaker 7:

Let's take a trip. Hey, for all of today's Dirty, you can catch up on the podcast. Just search Mojo in the Morning in the free iHeartRadio app.

All right, it's Mojo in the Morning giving you a shot at a brand new car. Please welcome Tim. It says here from Petersburg, Michigan. Where is Petersburg, Michigan?

01:06:42 - 01:06:47 | Speaker 5:

It's down by Dundee. It's like 20 minutes north of Toledo, Ohio. Okay, all right.

01:06:47 - 01:07:39 | Speaker 2:

I love it. Well, welcome to Petersburg. Welcome our Petersburg, Michigan listener, Tim. Yeah. Tim, congratulations, buddy. Thank you so much. I love it. Been trying to win this all week. Well, we just started yesterday, so you actually got in pretty good. This is pretty good. You're only on our show. You're only the sixth person that we've qualified for this, but you're now qualified for a brand new car, Find the Fob, which is an interesting contest in itself because I have a Chevy Tahoe and I can never find my freaking fob. You know what I mean? Like, I get into the car and it says the fob's not in it. And then I go in my house, I can't find the goddamn thing. You know what I mean? So this contest in itself is going to be a contest that's perfect for us to be doing on this radio show. Congrats to you, man. I'm definitely looking forward to it. What kind of car are we hoping to get?

01:07:41 - 01:07:44 | Speaker 5:

I mean, I wouldn't mind getting a Chevy Tahoe. That'd be sweet.

01:07:44 - 01:08:12 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I love mine. I really do. I actually was sitting there having a conversation with Chelsea the other day. I go, I think I finally found the one vehicle that I love so much because I just love it. Shannon even made this comment the other day when we all got in it to drive over to the Tiger Stadium. It made the, I started it up. It was like, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. It's got that craziness. It does. Did it turn you on, Shannon, at all? Oh. No, it didn't.

01:08:12 - 01:08:14 | Speaker 1:

It was quick.

01:08:14 - 01:08:32 | Speaker 2:

How about you, Kevin? Turn you on. All right, hang on the phone for just one second, okay? All right. All right, take care of yourself. All right, it's Mojo in the Morning. We're going to do War of the Roses. If you ever suspect that you're being cheated on, text cheater.

01:08:32 - 01:08:38 | Speaker 6:

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

01:08:38 - 01:09:09 | Speaker 2:

Veronica, you guys literally just got married, and now you're thinking that he could be cheating on you yeah and it was what like almost two months ago that you guys got married yes and what is it that uh makes you think that he could be cheating on you or did you real quick i'll answer this question before you answer that did you think he was cheating before you got married like did you have this feeling before you actually said i do

01:09:09 - 01:09:26 | Speaker 4:

well like we've had instances before where i had to ask him about yeah his ex and if he still had feelings for her and but this keeps coming up again and again so so it's an ex that you think

01:09:26 - 01:09:30 | Speaker 2:

that he still had feelings for even when you got married but nothing's happened

01:09:30 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 4:

yeah well he he comforted me and but basically it got resolved right but after we got married two days later i saw his phone ring up and his ex texted him um everything resurfaced again does that make sense you know and what did she text him for she said i will always have love for you okay that's not good

01:09:59 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 2:

We'll be right back. No.

01:10:01 - 01:10:13 | Speaker 1:

No. That's not good. No. And you know that a guy just married a girl and is married to somebody. You don't say, I still will always have love for you or whatever. It's okay if they text that. It's not okay if he responds.

01:10:14 - 01:10:16 | Speaker 2:

But what did he text for her to respond with that?

01:10:17 - 01:10:18 | Speaker 1:

I didn't know.

01:10:18 - 01:10:21 | Speaker 3:

He said, I will always have love for you too.

01:10:23 - 01:11:05 | Speaker 1:

That's not good either. Now, if they just have this kind of communication with each other, are you okay with that or does you're not okay good because i was going to say if you're okay with allowing him to still have this emotional connection to her i get he's going to have a connection with her if his connection is that emotional with her she needs to be blocked in the phone and he never should see her ever again i agree i mean this i this is landing itself too and i don't know if they are cheating and we're going to find out here in a little bit we'll call up and see what's going on but this is lending itself to something really really bad about to

01:11:05 - 01:11:13 | Speaker 3:

happen yeah i don't feel too good about this especially since you said that there's been

01:11:13 - 01:11:18 | Speaker 2:

a history of him having to reassure you that nothing's continuing to go on between the two of

01:11:18 - 01:11:27 | Speaker 3:

them you know yeah i just feel really shaken up about this marriage and we just got married so

01:11:28 - 01:11:33 | Speaker 1:

Have you confided in any friends about this? Have you told any people that know you guys?

01:11:33 - 01:11:34 | Speaker 3:

My friends know.

01:11:34 - 01:11:35 | Speaker 1:

They do know?

01:11:35 - 01:11:36 | Speaker 3:

My friends, yeah.

01:11:37 - 01:11:38 | Speaker 1:

And what do they say to you?

01:11:40 - 01:11:42 | Speaker 3:

They said to be careful.

01:11:43 - 01:11:44 | Speaker 1:

Do they think he's cheating?

01:11:46 - 01:11:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:11:48 - 01:12:24 | Speaker 1:

All right, well, then we're going to find out what's going on. I feel bad. I mean, we've had people that have done War of the Roses right before they were going to get married. And those are always tough. And then we've had those that have said, okay, I've been married for a year or something now, and now I think that they're cheating. I don't know if we've ever had somebody within a couple of months of actually saying I do. Mute your phone. Do not say a word and let us see what we can get out of him. And let's hope that he sends the flowers to you. Yes, okay. All right, it's War of the Roses. We're hoping that the flowers go to Veronica.

01:12:24 - 01:13:32 | Speaker 2:

hello i'm looking for just a please uh yeah this is him who is this hi justin my name is nicole and i'm calling from an online floral company called roses bloom.com with an offer for some free flowers do you have a minute to answer two survey questions in exchange for a dozen long-stemmed red roses that can be sent out today? Anywhere in the country? Anybody in the country totally, totally free of charge? Uh, yeah, I guess, yeah. Okay. Justin, have you purchased flowers in the last six months? No, I have not. Do you plan on purchasing flowers in the next six months? Um, maybe. Okay. That's actually all I need from you, and as I thank you for participating in that survey roses bloom.com is now going to give you that dozen long stemmed red roses so this is a quick process i just need a first and a last name of who you want these to be sent

01:13:32 - 01:13:46 | Speaker 3:

out to today uh okay um and it doesn't have to be in state like i said yeah let's send it to um ellie

01:13:46 - 01:14:00 | Speaker 2:

ellie like e-l-l-i-e uh yeah okay and the last name okay and what is ellie's telephone number

01:14:00 - 01:14:03 | Speaker 3:

it is

01:14:03 - 01:14:14 | Speaker 2:

okay and what is her relationship to you

01:14:16 - 01:14:22 | Speaker 3:

Uh, she, actually, can I, can I send this to someone else?

01:14:25 - 01:14:28 | Speaker 2:

Uh, yeah, absolutely. Just need a first and a last name.

01:14:29 - 01:14:33 | Speaker 3:

Let's, let's send it to Veronica. Uh, Veronica.

01:14:35 - 01:14:37 | Speaker 2:

Okay. And the telephone number?

01:14:42 - 01:14:42 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

01:14:44 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 2:

Okay. And what is her relationship to you? uh she's my wife okay and justin we offer something unique at rosesbloom.com instead of sending a paper card with the flowers we're going to send a voice memo so

01:15:00 - 01:15:12 | Speaker 1:

in this situation veronica will receive the flowers she's going to get a text alerting her she has a delivery and then she'll be able to play this voice memo to know who they're from and get a little message from you so i'm going to go ahead and record that with you okay okay

01:15:12 - 01:15:28 | Speaker 2:

i'm going to count you down and you just start talking three two one hey veronica it's me just wanted to give you a little something have a great day okay and justin i have to let you know that

01:15:28 - 01:15:34 | Speaker 1:

this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes are you okay with that yeah

01:15:35 - 01:15:52 | Speaker 3:

great justin i'm going to jump on real quick just to wrap up the call and then we'll send those flowers off in the message okay uh okay all right i just need to ask you one last thing justin do you do you know who this is that is calling you up right now with this

01:15:54 - 01:15:56 | Speaker 2:

uh i thought it was just the rose the flower company

01:15:56 - 01:16:03 | Speaker 3:

So you just know it's rosesbloom.com that is calling you?

01:16:04 - 01:16:07 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, right. That's what they just said.

01:16:08 - 01:16:20 | Speaker 3:

Okay. I just wanted to know that. Justin, I noticed that you switched the name of the person that you wanted to send the flowers to. Was there any particular reason why you switched the name of them?

01:16:23 - 01:16:26 | Speaker 2:

No, I just thought I should send them to my wife.

01:16:26 - 01:16:34 | Speaker 3:

Okay. So the person that you were going to send them to is not your wife. It was somebody that you were just going to send them to just randomly?

01:16:36 - 01:16:40 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. She's kind of asking a lot of questions.

01:16:41 - 01:17:00 | Speaker 3:

Well, I'm asking a lot of questions, Justin, because this is actually not rosesbloom.com that was calling you up. This is the Mojo in the Morning radio show. and your wife, Veronica, is on the phone with us right now because she wanted to see where you'd send a dozen free roses.

01:17:03 - 01:17:03 | Unknown:

Okay.

01:17:04 - 01:17:08 | Speaker 3:

And Veronica, is that the person that you were telling us about?

01:17:09 - 01:17:09 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

01:17:11 - 01:17:27 | Speaker 3:

Justin, Veronica told us that there is a person that's in your life that you keep in contact with even though you're married to her. and just got married. And she was a little uneasy with that.

01:17:32 - 01:18:15 | Speaker 2:

I don't even know what to say. I was just like... So defensive. Look, I sent them to you. Yeah, but I wasn't the first on your mind. It was Ellie? Did you? Why her? I just, I don't know. I was just sending some goodbye flowers. I feel bad. We're so happy and, you know. You didn't even answer that. What is it? What is your relationship to her? She's just a friend now.

01:18:15 - 01:18:18 | Speaker 1:

But why is it necessary then to send goodbye flowers?

01:18:20 - 01:18:25 | Speaker 2:

And these are roses. It's not. It's not. That's why I changed them.

01:18:25 - 01:18:28 | Speaker 1:

But you still thought about it, even just for a second.

01:18:29 - 01:18:36 | Speaker 2:

Exactly. I was going to be nice, but then I realized that that wasn't the right thing to do.

01:18:37 - 01:18:44 | Speaker 3:

Justin, did you realize it wasn't the right thing to do, or did you know that it was us that was calling, and that's why you realized it wasn't the right thing to do?

01:18:46 - 01:18:47 | Speaker 2:

I didn't know it was you guys calling.

01:18:47 - 01:19:02 | Speaker 3:

So you didn't know that it was Mojo in the morning And that we do a thing like this No Because I'll be quite honest with you It just seemed a little Sketchy how you switched so quick

01:19:02 - 01:19:05 | Speaker 2:

Are you still texting her

01:19:05 - 01:19:07 | Speaker 3:

No I'm not

01:19:07 - 01:19:14 | Speaker 2:

I love you I married you for a reason

01:19:14 - 01:19:22 | Speaker 3:

Then why are you still Why are you still in contact with her, with this girl, this Ellie?

01:19:22 - 01:19:29 | Speaker 2:

I'm not. This would have been, if I would have sent it, which I didn't, it would have just been like a final goodbye.

01:19:29 - 01:19:40 | Speaker 1:

But why is that necessary? Why is that so important to you? The final goodbye was you got married. You don't owe her a final goodbye.

01:19:40 - 01:19:47 | Speaker 2:

look i'm sorry and i shouldn't have potentially sent them to her but i didn't

01:19:47 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 3:

i think i think the two of you guys have a lot that you guys need to get through and i think that you guys need to figure out some counseling and i don't know if necessarily it's going to be the

01:20:00 - 01:20:27 | Speaker 1:

right spot for us to be doing this right now with you guys but veronica's not easy with your relationship with this ex and i think that you need to have a reassurance of with her that there's nothing going on i agree yeah no you're right i'm sorry i'm gonna have you guys talk more to each other with us not being there, okay?

01:20:28 - 01:20:29 | Unknown:

Okay.

01:20:30 - 01:20:37 | Speaker 1:

Hold on one second, Veronica. We'll talk to you, too, okay? Hold on. Yo, yo. This is the home of War of the Roses.

01:20:38 - 01:20:50 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning. Join the discussion now. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:20:54 - 01:21:41 | Speaker 1:

mojo in the morning war of the roses busting a cheater newlywed couple literally about as newly as you can be to be wed to somebody when it's like less than a couple of months and his ex comes into play 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 obviously everybody's going to have their theories on this one i wanted to throw this out there i don't know if there's any listeners that have ever dealt with this where you get married and an ex is still involved like the the ex still is is around and uh it's kind of lingering uh what's uh what's happening it's mojo in the morning show your thoughts on this tiffany what are your thoughts um i think 100 he caught on to

01:21:41 - 01:21:55 | Speaker 3:

you guys really fast because if you go on google uh roses bloom.com it will show you guys because he was 100 confident with wanting to send it to his ex and then all of a sudden kind of paused for a minute and then changed his mind.

01:21:55 - 01:22:08 | Speaker 1:

He changed it at a point, too, that was interesting. He changed it at a point when Shannon or Nicole, a.k.a. Nicole, is asking the question of what is her relationship to you? That's when he kind of changed. It was almost like he didn't want to say.

01:22:09 - 01:22:12 | Speaker 3:

Or his conscience kicked in. What if it was that?

01:22:12 - 01:22:14 | Speaker 1:

That could very well have been it.

01:22:14 - 01:22:18 | Speaker 3:

But it's still problematic that his mind immediately went to her.

01:22:19 - 01:22:25 | Speaker 1:

Katie, it's Mojo in the Morning. What are your thoughts? Hi, Katie.

01:22:25 - 01:22:40 | Speaker 2:

Are you, oh, me? Yeah. Oh, hi, hi. Yeah, no, did you hear him say she's just a friend now? Like, she was asking what's the relationship to her, and he goes, she's just a friend. And then he paused, and he was like, now.

01:22:41 - 01:22:43 | Speaker 1:

Well, I mean, I was his ex at a certain point.

01:22:43 - 01:22:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's not as suspicious to me as some other things.

01:22:47 - 01:22:51 | Speaker 1:

I think Katie's thinking that she wasn't just a friend maybe a week ago or something, right?

01:22:52 - 01:22:55 | Speaker 2:

Exactly. Exactly. Oh, like right before the marriage.

01:22:55 - 01:22:57 | Speaker 1:

Or even after the marriage. That's right.

01:22:57 - 01:23:05 | Speaker 2:

Like as soon as I was busted with those text messages, that's when she stopped seeing my friend. Or my girlfriend. Whatever she was. Now she's just a friend.

01:23:05 - 01:23:09 | Speaker 1:

I mean, I can see that. Where are you listening to us right now?

01:23:11 - 01:23:14 | Speaker 2:

I'm in DeWitt, Michigan. I'm just north of Lansing, right by your son.

01:23:14 - 01:23:17 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. Well, check on him, please. Make sure he's at home today.

01:23:18 - 01:23:19 | Speaker 2:

Will do. I appreciate that.

01:23:19 - 01:23:23 | Speaker 1:

I like that we have listeners that are willing to check on my son away at college.

01:23:23 - 01:23:25 | Speaker 2:

I wonder how he feels about that.

01:23:25 - 01:23:28 | Speaker 1:

He doesn't need to know. What's up, Peyton? Hi.

01:23:30 - 01:23:30 | Speaker 4:

Hi.

01:23:30 - 01:23:31 | Speaker 1:

What's going on?

01:23:34 - 01:23:43 | Speaker 4:

I don't think I've ever heard a Four of the Roses where my jaw has been open. I mean, there's been a lot, but I'm like, are you kidding me?

01:23:43 - 01:23:49 | Speaker 1:

Was it the point where he said this other woman's name, this ex's name, and then he changed it?

01:23:49 - 01:24:06 | Speaker 4:

um no it was actually before that um veronica girlfriend i mean contact with your ex two days before you know or two days after and then like a week before and like what's what's going on

01:24:06 - 01:24:35 | Speaker 1:

this is can i tell you something peyton i'm looking at her text screen some people they're texting in i hope we can get them on the phone with us telling us that they had the same thing happened to them a similar situation where they're one here this is uh from uh 248 it says my ex-husband was still talking to his ex-girlfriend the same night that we actually got married like what yeah all these people that are that are still immediate immediate red flags

01:24:35 - 01:25:00 | Speaker 4:

but there was most likely red flags before this and that's the problem and i feel like you know a lot of women like blind that because they want this perfect fairy tale and like unfortunately this man is a scumbag and that's just never going to happen therapy is not going to fix that nothing is going to fix this man he is who he is it's interesting you call

01:25:00 - 01:25:09 | Speaker 2:

him a scumbag patty says that we're all being hard on him is that right patty yeah i do i think

01:25:09 - 01:25:45 | Speaker 5:

that he legit changed his mind and he realized that that moment i don't think he knew it was you i think at that moment he realized that he can't do that so you're actually you're thinking he's actually not a cheater then no I think he probably had a you know a deep relationship with the ex and but he was he really loves the new wife he just really feels bad that the ex is

01:25:45 - 01:25:55 | Speaker 3:

having a hard time with it but why is that so important to him that is not for him to carry anymore he the goodbye should have happened months and months and months and months and months ago

01:25:55 - 01:26:02 | Speaker 2:

I think Patty is extremely forgiving. That's a very forgiving approach to take. I don't know.

01:26:02 - 01:26:12 | Speaker 5:

Well, love is complicated, and I think that, you know, it doesn't just go away overnight. Yeah, I know it should have been months ago, but.

01:26:12 - 01:26:21 | Speaker 3:

It's not his job. Unfortunately, it's not his job anymore to worry about what she's feeling in the midst of him getting married. Yeah. You know what I mean?

01:26:21 - 01:26:26 | Speaker 2:

I would not have gotten married if I was Veronica, still knowing that he's still talking to this room.

01:26:26 - 01:26:43 | Speaker 3:

And even the text that she found, that Veronica found, I will always have love for you. It's like, I feel like everybody in this room, we all have exes. God, I hope they're okay. I am going to have love for certain of my exes because they were a big part of my life. But does that need to be said after you get married? Really?

01:26:43 - 01:26:43 | Speaker 2:

Bruno.

01:26:44 - 01:26:44 | Speaker 3:

I don't know.

01:26:44 - 01:26:48 | Speaker 2:

Bruno, you're also on the same page as Patty, huh?

01:26:48 - 01:27:41 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'm just going to look at things a little bit differently. First off, I feel like there's a story behind every situation. Like, one thing is for sure, we don't know what the, should I say, the nature of the relationship between him and his ex was, and we don't know what led to the, you know, for them not working out. That's one. And secondly, he realized, to me, the way I see it, he realized that he made a mistake, and he immediately corrected that mistake. So I feel like the guy deserves some type of credit there. And then, you know, for the other person who said that he did a quick Google search and realized that, you know, this is a Monday morning show, I feel like if that's the case, his tone would have completely changed. The way he would have been responding to Shannon would have been different. Or just he probably would have just hung up immediately.

01:27:41 - 01:27:50 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, that's a good point. He didn't change his tone on that. I mean, I don't get the whole give him credit thing. Well, you know what I'm saying?

01:27:51 - 01:27:51 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I don't either.

01:27:51 - 01:27:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you can't give nobody credit for being an A. Hold on. Let's check in on Veronica. Veronica?

01:27:58 - 01:27:58 | Speaker 1:

Hello.

01:27:59 - 01:27:59 | Speaker 2:

How are you feeling?

01:28:02 - 01:28:03 | Speaker 1:

I don't feel good.

01:28:04 - 01:28:25 | Speaker 2:

I don't blame you. Veronica, you got to not just tell him that this is something that he needs to stop doing. you gotta tell him that this is something that he needs to in his head just get get this girl out of his you know yeah like it's there there's there are certain people you can still have relationships

01:28:25 - 01:28:30 | Speaker 3:

with and be friends with or be kind to he doesn't owe her anything but to sit there and say i still

01:28:30 - 01:28:56 | Speaker 2:

love you or or or show the love like that i think that there's something wrong they don't have a kid together there's nothing with them as far as that's concerned no okay so there's nothing like there's an attachment that way all right all right hang on one sec okay veronica we're here for you hold on one sec we'll let you talk to lydia stephanie hi mojo in the morning

01:28:56 - 01:29:58 | Speaker 1:

hi um i think um my advice for veronica would be please do not let this break your marriage um your husband sounded genuine i don't think he knew he was major in the morning I think he just realized after Shannon asked that question, what is her relationship with you? That kind of jogged him up to realize that, hmm, I think I'm making a mistake here. He realized it. I think he has a little bit of emotion for his ex, which so many people do it, and I think he's going to grow out of it. I want you to please handle this without a lot of anger so your marriage doesn't crash. there's something good about your husband he also became remorse i have listened to mojo in the morning for so many years now some of them they don't even get this remorse yeah apologize but your husband apologized to you

01:30:00 - 01:30:18 | Speaker 2:

No, Stephanie's right in the fact that this guy definitely has been a little bit more remorseful than the others. But they need counseling, Stephanie. And I don't think that she should walk out on this marriage. She obviously went into it to never have it end, and I think that they need some counseling. That's what my hope for them is.

01:30:18 - 01:30:22 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, they do. So I wish you all the best, Veronica. Take care of yourself.

01:30:22 - 01:30:24 | Speaker 2:

Thank you, Stephanie. That was very nice of you.

01:30:24 - 01:30:26 | Speaker 1:

Her voice is so soothing.

01:30:26 - 01:30:35 | Speaker 2:

She's so nice. She seems like a very nice lady. uh t caught her husband cheating with his ex how many days after your wedding

01:30:35 - 01:31:28 | Speaker 1:

son of a bitch did you have a feeling that something was still going on like on your wedding day absolutely first uh first and foremost first time long time God, I'm sorry you're calling for this. No, I listen to you guys all the time, and my heart is actually racing. I've never been on the air with you guys. But, yeah, no, I had suspicions long before, and I don't even know what possessed me to go ahead and say yes and get married. um he abused me for seven years held me captive and stuff oh my god it was really really bad and he cheated on me almost the entire relationship even before the engagement

01:31:28 - 01:31:33 | Speaker 2:

with his ex-girlfriend yeah so you probably shouldn't have i mean obviously gotten married

01:31:33 - 01:32:09 | Speaker 1:

but uh for him to do two days after this thing how did you find out so he was sleeping and his phone kept going off and i grabbed it i said oh we're married i let me look and i looked and curiosity killed the cat it was all her uh posting about how we got married and he went through with it and she was pissed and she was never going to lay down with him again and a week later they

01:32:09 - 01:32:23 | Speaker 2:

was together at his job jeez oh god oh my god well i am so sorry what a horrible thing to have happen two days after this thing uh and obviously there was no saving that marriage at that point

01:32:23 - 01:33:28 | Speaker 1:

because of all the ways that he treated you beforehand oh yeah no absolutely not um we're still technically uh married oh really find him i can't find him to save my life wait he's he ran from you oh he ran from me i have no i at last i knew he moved to florida somewhere wait a second that's wild what happens in that situation if you want to divorce somebody but you can't like find them uh get their signature to serve them papers and i have no way of serving him papers so i've been stuck in this marriage since i finally decided to jump out of my two-story window when he wouldn't let me leave my room you're a whole netflix episode t this is deep yeah i am um i decided to jump out of the window and that was it and he fled and i have no idea how to even get a hold of him or so i can get divorced and move on from this fiasco. The guy was holding you captive

01:33:28 - 01:33:30 | Speaker 2:

for God's sakes. That's amazing.

01:33:31 - 01:33:34 | Speaker 1:

I am happy you are safe. I am happy he's not around. Did he take

01:33:34 - 01:33:37 | Speaker 2:

that ex with him or is she still around here somewhere?

01:33:38 - 01:33:44 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no. She's still around. They still talk. They still talk. Wait. Is she

01:33:44 - 01:33:46 | Speaker 2:

happy? Are you guys friendly?

01:33:47 - 01:33:52 | Speaker 1:

No, absolutely not. I can't even stand her name. Okay.

01:33:52 - 01:34:20 | Speaker 2:

All right. Well, this was an interesting phone call. Did you know all this stuff, Lydia, when you picked up this call because this is a this is a crazy call this is like like kevin said this is a a movie man oh man t well thank thank you for the uh the call t i hope everything works out for you thank god listen i i hate to see that the guy's on the run and not being uh punished for the things that he did to you but thank god he's not with you that's the biggest thing right yep i walked away

01:34:20 - 01:34:43 | Speaker 1:

with my life and that's all that matters to me like he abandoned his dad we have a kid together and he my daughter is now almost 10 and she has very much anger issues because she wants to know why her dad doesn't want anything to do with her well thank you for calling in thank you for sharing

01:34:43 - 01:34:49 | Speaker 2:

with us and just know that uh that we do appreciate you yeah just let veronica know

01:34:49 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 1:

step into that very very wisely and with a lot of thought because if he can do this a few months

01:35:00 - 01:35:07 | Speaker 2:

After they got married, it's no telling exactly how long they have actually been talking.

01:35:07 - 01:35:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Good point. Thank you for the call. Appreciate you, T. All right. Where are the roses?

Plus, a lot of good topics that are going to be coming up here on the show. So we'll get to those right now. I do want to let you know that this is Mojo in the Morning. Megan is on vacation this week. She was sick all last week, on vacation this week. Will be back with us in 2026. I don't know. I don't know. She'll be back whatever the week is after this. Post-Easter.

01:36:40 - 01:36:42 | Speaker 1:

Is that Easter? No, no, no. Easter is not this week and next week.

01:36:42 - 01:36:43 | Speaker 3:

She'll be back for Holy Week.

01:36:44 - 01:36:45 | Speaker 1:

Easter's on 420.

01:36:45 - 01:37:00 | Speaker 3:

She'll be back on Palm Sunday. Okay. All right. It's Mojo in the Morning. I mean, Shannon, last night, went to a movie and had to deal with a bunch of crazy teenagers in the movie theater. Shannon became a movie theater Karen yesterday.

01:37:00 - 01:37:14 | Speaker 1:

I did. That's what Lucy and Smith were calling me all last night after we got back. They were like, Mom, we've never seen you act like this before. The funny thing is, Smith was actually wearing a T-shirt under his sweatshirt that said, OK, Karen.

01:37:15 - 01:37:23 | Speaker 3:

Wow. It was so fitting. By the way, real quick, before you tell this story, happy birthday to Lucy. Shannon became a mom how many years ago today?

01:37:24 - 01:37:24 | Speaker 1:

Eleven.

01:37:25 - 01:37:26 | Speaker 3:

Eleven years ago.

01:37:27 - 01:37:39 | Speaker 1:

I was very actively trying to push that sweet little girl out of my body at this time. Not fast enough for Mojo, who thought she should have arrived by the end of the show, 1030. She came into this world at 1054 a.m.

01:37:39 - 01:37:42 | Speaker 3:

You know what, though? That's a perfect time. Fashionably late.

01:37:42 - 01:39:47 | Speaker 1:

Fashionably late. Yeah. So I took the kids, random last minute, Smith's lacrosse practice got canceled. So they have been dying to see a Minecraft movie. And I thought, perfect night for it. Random Monday night, there's probably not going to be a lot of people there. We have the time. It was one of those situations where we walked into the theater and it was a smaller theater. And as soon as we sat down, I knew it was going to be bad because there were two separate groups of teenagers probably between the ages of 13 and 16 on both sides of the theater all the way in the back and they were rowdy right when we walked in for like the last couple of previews I'm like dang it this is not gonna be good you know you can kind of already tell and I was right as soon as the movie started they were screaming randomly at the movie screen like they would just do that randomly they were screaming the f-word they were trying to throw things like loudly screaming oh my god at the top of their lungs they were throwing things from one side of the theater to the other running up and down the stairs i mean it was just non-stop talking and i'm usually pretty cool in these situations like i can deal with a lot but about 10 minutes into the movie i thought i'm not doing this especially when they started swearing and stuff i was like there are other little kids in here my kids actually were not that bothered by it and so I looked at Lucy and she knew I was mad and I went to get up to go get somebody and she's like please mom please mom don't I was like uh-uh I went out got somebody and I just said I'm so sorry to be that person but there are some teenagers in the theater and they're just being like super ridiculous and so this woman came in and like tried to settle them down I guess they did not care 20 minutes later doing the same thing and um another dad I could tell was getting agitated as well he was there with three little kids and i saw him get up and go out and so somebody came back in 20 minutes later the same thing i got up again i'm like i am so sorry auditorium one is just like a spit show can somebody please just come in and sit or talk like talk to them or kick them out

01:39:47 - 01:39:53 | Speaker 3:

i don't even know where's the security guard with the uh the flashlight these kids did not care i

01:39:53 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 1:

mean these poor work employees for the movie theater came in several times and they just didn't care and so there was probably a half

01:40:00 - 01:40:41 | Speaker 2:

an hour left of the movie and i was so irritated you guys like i feel myself fuming and so i'm like well this is gonna be a topic tomorrow morning and i started filming them with my phone now mind you i was not bothering anybody else there was nobody sitting no flash on i can show you and they were like bro she's recording us bro bro who are you who are you recording and i was i just i didn't even know why i was doing that i just thought oh it'll be good audio for the the morning which i can't even like they were swearing but um i guess this is it it did suck it totally ruined the entire movie for us it's funny even though smith said it was the best movie he's ever seen in his whole entire life so if you've been thinking about going to see it go

01:40:41 - 01:40:55 | Speaker 4:

see it but it's we've all been teenagers before but you kind of got to know your crowd right you're a bunch of teenagers swearing you got young kids like smith and lucy and i felt i

01:40:55 - 01:41:00 | Speaker 2:

truly felt like a Karen my second time out I was like god dang it I hate to say this this is the

01:41:00 - 01:41:35 | Speaker 4:

reason why like malls won't let you come in unless you have like certain malls will say you can't come in I mean I think that some of the malls will say you can't come in unless you have an adult with you because they're worried about them getting robbed or something like that but I feel like you like you're you're making it bad for everybody else that you guys are acting like dicks and I remember being that age movie theaters we goofed and stuff but we would always make sure that we weren't bothering people but also um like they're the fact that that that the the movie theater couldn't shut them up that's the real problem like that's where you want paul glans

01:41:35 - 01:41:59 | Speaker 2:

to walk in himself like an hour with his cane on yeah and here's the thing i know for a while some movie theaters had like rules that you couldn't come without an adult after a certain time whatever i i honestly don't even think because that ruins it there are there are a good chunk of teenagers like kids this age that are really well behaved their parents can drop them up and they can go in and sit through a movie and be perfectly fine it's just these kind of a-holes

01:41:59 - 01:42:07 | Speaker 4:

you should have taken pictures i did but you should take pictures and we should post the pictures of the kids and say are these your kids because if they are you're not doing a very good

01:42:07 - 01:42:26 | Speaker 3:

job i feel like they should have been pepper spray pepper spray i agree with you at certain point i that's i'm okay with pepper spray at that point it is nothing worse than having a build-up of seeing a movie you want to watch and having kids in the back just not give a F and go crazy.

01:42:26 - 01:42:39 | Speaker 2:

And then Lucy was worried because I went out to thank the two employees that came in. I'm like, thank you guys. You have the hardest job. I'm so sorry you had to deal with this all night. And they said it's a thing with this movie. There's some sort of social media challenge, which I was not aware of. Wes told me about it when I got home.

01:42:39 - 01:42:45 | Speaker 4:

Don's calling about it right now. What's up, Don? What is the story with this thing, this movie, that people are acting like a-holes?

01:42:45 - 01:43:15 | Speaker 1:

I don't know the whole story. I just saw a little clip. yesterday because i thought we would go see the movie too and i it just said something about uh in other cities that they're like the kids are going viral making you know a ruckus during the movie causing issues and um i didn't read the whole article but you might want to google it because it is a thing so i think it's happening a lot they said it was happening all weekend

01:43:15 - 01:43:32 | Speaker 4:

I think if that's a thing to the movie, then you up the people that are sitting in the movie theater watching these these things and go, all right, you're not making this a thing in my movie theater. You know what I mean? It's a thing to scream out the F word like that.

01:43:32 - 01:43:46 | Speaker 3:

I don't know what I've seen this. I haven't watched any of the videos, but on TikTok, there is a thing where they're filming lots and lots of teenagers and kids and really standing up throwing popcorn. Yes, it was that. I was like, what in the heck is happening? What's up, Jake?

01:43:48 - 01:44:01 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, yeah. This is a, it's like a meme. This Minecraft movie with the kids. I've got little siblings and they're throwing popcorn. So you should have expected it, Shannon. I kind of feel bad for you, but. I had no idea.

01:44:02 - 01:44:08 | Speaker 4:

But how is that enjoyable to watch a movie and have some dickheads doing this?

01:44:08 - 01:44:17 | Speaker 5:

I think it's kind of like a, you know, cheesy movie in general. So, like, that's the reason the kids are doing it. Really? Look at the box office. That's crazy.

01:44:17 - 01:44:23 | Speaker 2:

I know. It's top of the box office. I just, all night long, the kids were like, my mom is the biggest care.

01:44:24 - 01:44:28 | Speaker 4:

Hold on. Misfit Victor, did this happen to you when you went and saw it with your kids?

01:44:29 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 6:

Hey, good morning, guys. No, I went and saw the movie on Saturday with my kids, and there are no issues at the theater. After the theater, we went to Chick-fil-A for dinner. And same thing, exact same thing, Shannon. group of kids sitting there screaming yelling throwing stuff at each other so i pulled out my phone i recorded them i took pictures and posted it on next door and i said if these are your kids you have failed as parents these kids are complete morons and it's funny though because like 90

01:45:00 - 01:45:30 | Speaker 1:

The 5% of people agreed with me, like, kids are so bad. There's people that are, teenagers will be teenagers. No, I was a teenager. I wasn't screaming the F-bomb. I wasn't throwing food and acting like a moron in public places like this. It happens at Walmart. It happens at Target. It happens kids riding bikes through the aisles, bouncing basketball. Oh, I did that. You never did that? Like, complete idiots. No, I never did that. I'll tell you this. the walmart the walmart by my house i've thrown out probably six or seven people out of that store

01:45:30 - 01:45:50 | Speaker 2:

the funny thing is victor with these guys doing this thing is yeah okay it's kind of fun to ride a bike through a store and whatever but put the bike back where it belongs afterwards and and do it but this is a sign that we're all getting old that we're all like these guys are a-holes as i

01:45:50 - 01:46:07 | Speaker 3:

marched out of the theater the second time i could feel my face was so hot i was so pissed and i'm I'm like, I am that person. I know it. But I was so irritated. And at one point, Victor, one of the kids was like, dude, bro, she's going to kick your ass. And Smith turns around and he goes, oh, trust me, she will.

01:46:09 - 01:46:36 | Speaker 1:

Real quick, I was at Walmart one time. This kid kept blowing this whistle, like, throughout the whole entire store. And I found him. I walked up to him. I said, hey, man, do that again. He says, huh? I said, do that again. You're hilarious. I don't want to. I go, please do it again. And you are the funniest person I've ever met in my whole entire life. And he went and did it. He said, do it. He said, no. I said, get the hell out of the store. He said, do you work here? I said, no. That's why I have no problem slapping the spit out of the store.

01:46:36 - 01:46:47 | Speaker 2:

You got to use your finger next time. Oh, my gosh. This is crazy. This is why I sit on my couch. What's going on? Misfit Nicole. What's up, Nicole?

01:46:47 - 01:46:51 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Nicole. Hey. Good morning. Good morning. It's a Misfit morning.

01:46:52 - 01:46:57 | Speaker 2:

It is. between misfit victor and now misfit nicole nicole you know what these kids need these kids need

01:46:57 - 01:47:36 | Speaker 6:

parental guidance that's what they need you know what shannon i'm like that too when i see kids acting up i was just telling lydia i'm always in teacher mode like i was in dollar tree the other day these kids acting up i was like would you do this is cool and they were like kind of like yeah and then their mom was there i'm like hey you know sometimes moms will be in stores and i know these are teens that shannon was around but little kids cut up too you know and then they just don't say anything and they just let the kids and dollar tree workers they're tired you don't have time to be disciplined kids get your kids under control people nicole this is our future these are our

01:47:36 - 01:47:48 | Speaker 2:

future leaders we are so effed we are all right we love you talk to you later what's up tony hi What's going on?

01:47:48 - 01:48:05 | Speaker 5:

Hi. I just wanted to say I'm having a birthday party for my soon-to-be seven-year-old on Saturday in Brighton, and we rented out one of the little theaters in Brighton, and Shannon and her kids are totally invited to do that. Oh, that's so sweet. It's a Minecraft movie.

01:48:05 - 01:48:08 | Speaker 3:

That's awesome. It is a really great movie, by the way.

01:48:08 - 01:48:22 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I love Jack Black, so I'm really excited, but he is so excited. I have three boys so they're pumped and they're little friends but there's no teenagers so if you did want to do over you're more than welcome

01:48:22 - 01:48:46 | Speaker 2:

and by the way if anybody needs security Victor will be there for security how great is that he's patrolling the Walmart parking lot oh my god it's nuts by the way you should see all these texters that are texting in including Jennifer Jennifer you were on a date last night at the movie and these kids did the same thing the movie while you were on a date?

01:48:47 - 01:49:38 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it was actually last fall, but we, so my fiance and I, we hadn't had a deep night in forever. We really needed it. And we went to eat, go to the movies after and there were kids like teenagers on the last two rows doing the same thing, cussing, yelling. And they were doing it during the previews and I said, okay, I'll wait and see if they stop during the movie when the movie starts it did not stop so i was getting really irritated and fed up and i went out and i told somebody and i had to go out twice before they sent like security up to you know talk to them and then it still kept going so frustrating because you spend so much money yeah getting tickets and the popcorn and you can't even enjoy the movie because

01:49:38 - 01:49:56 | Speaker 3:

crazy and i want people to continue to go to the movie theater yeah like there is no there is nothing like seeing especially like for lucence but they've been waiting to see this movie forever there is nothing like seeing a movie you've been waiting to see at the movie theater see waiting until it comes at home it it doesn't even do it justice but it's it's situations

01:49:56 - 01:50:00 | Speaker 2:

like this where you're like can't these teenagers go back to the day when

01:50:00 - 01:50:06 | Speaker 3:

And we all would go to the movie theaters just to hope that a girl would actually fool around with us when we were teens. Did you ever do that?

01:50:06 - 01:50:07 | Speaker 2:

I don't know that no more, bro.

01:50:07 - 01:50:11 | Speaker 3:

They don't do it anymore. Now they just sit there and scream the F-bomb and throw food.

01:50:11 - 01:50:15 | Speaker 2:

We need pepper spray. Spray these kids.

01:50:15 - 01:50:15 | Speaker 3:

That's right.

01:50:17 - 01:50:30 | Speaker 2:

In the whole back of the theater. Ain't going to do it again. Today's weather forecast is holy crap. Oh, holy cow. It's so cold that my boogers freeze when I breathe. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:50:31 - 01:51:04 | Speaker 3:

All right, it's Mojo in the Morning, Chell. I'm looking out right now. I'm going to paint a picture for you. This is our radio studios here. Beautiful. You've probably seen a picture or two of the new ones. We have a glass window that looks out into our offices, and I'm looking out into the offices right now, and as I am, what am I seeing? Nothing. You are not exaggerating. I'm like looking. There's Mark. There's Mark Makovic. I see Mark. I got his head there and I got nothing else in there.

01:51:04 - 01:51:07 | Speaker 2:

There is not a mother. What are you expecting to see?

01:51:07 - 01:52:53 | Speaker 3:

I don't. Well, here's the thing. Yeah. And I know it's early still, but yesterday I was walking around the office and I'm like, it's a new week. It's like exciting. Okay. We're, you know, everything's good. The, uh, you know, uh, we were broadcasting out of the studio, uh, last week. So we were out for a little bit. I'm like, I'm looking to see some faces, and there's nobody here. And I'm at a point right now, and Tony's going to be so mad at me for bringing this up, because I texted him like 20 times yesterday. And I said to Tony, I go, Tony, I'm tired of this. I'm tired of the fact that every single day, no matter if it snows, if there's ice storms outside, if the highway is closed because of construction, like we got with 696 we as a show come in every single day all of us shannon megan kevin lydia bianca zach myself we come in as a show every single day monday through friday we'd be here on saturdays if the show ran on a saturday or sunday if it ran on a sunday sometimes we're in here on the weekends because we got promotions and i look out in this building on monday through friday and i occasionally see people here and i don't understand it like i get the idea that we had to work from home for a certain point but now i'm at a point that was five years ago i'm not gonna lie to you i'm gonna start doing the show from down in tampa the entire time like i've been doing occasionally and a week here a week there i'm gonna go down there because every day that i work down there there's people in the building and it gives you life when you're on the air to be able to during a commercial break go say hi to somebody yeah and i and i just don't get it i

01:52:53 - 01:53:07 | Speaker 2:

really don't get it i don't understand it let me ask you this how do you feel about say for example the response was i can do my job anywhere that's why i'm not coming in the office i have a response

01:53:07 - 01:53:27 | Speaker 1:

to that i think there is so much more to or there is so much that goes along with doing your job there there's a culture that needs to be had here and i think it's you can't have a culture if there's nobody here to create any sort of culture so say for example i'm a sales agent and when it

01:53:27 - 01:53:43 | Speaker 2:

comes time for me to get paid or it comes time to talk about an upgrade in my salary or a bonus the powers that be not looking at a line item that say culture they looking at how much dollars i done brought in yeah and regardless if i understand here or at home understand that's

01:53:43 - 01:55:54 | Speaker 3:

what matters but i i understand that but i think what shannon is trying to say is i get the whole idea that the that what you're saying it's about how much if they're if they're still bringing in the money and ratings are still good and all the rest of this stuff here's the deal if this radio show was us broadcasting from our homes or broadcasting from another place and it stayed consistent that way you'd feel it you'd feel it on the air i do believe that there are people that probably do great working by themselves but the problem is i don't do great working by myself and if you want to help me keep motivated and keep you and be able to make you more money and you get advertisers more money i need you i want you i want to see you ideas come from passing people in hallways and i in shannon culture is everything to me team you see championship teams have culture right there's certain teams that don't even talk to each other and they you know Play games, they're not going to win championships. The teams like the Pistons, right now, those guys have a culture going on. Those players all are buds. They're all hanging out with each other. Very true. So here's my thing, and I shouldn't even bring this thing up. I know Tony's going to get pissed at me. We are not. We on the gas. He's going to text me, and he's going to say to me, Why are you? doing this. You're making, you know, you know what? I feel like I'm one of the leaders around here. Okay. And as one of the leaders, one of the things I'm saying to you is I've gone into other radio studios, Tampa specifically, when I am down there in Tampa, I feel better about continuing to do this job and enjoying this job. When I come to Detroit, I get depressed as heft because I come, I drive, my drive went from 14 minutes to now 55 minutes. And I come down here And I got nobody here at least two out of the five days a week that we're doing a show. And I know that that's a lot of cases for a lot of people. I'm saying this not just to iHeart. I'm saying this to Blue Cross Blue Shield, Rock Financial, the city of Detroit, whoever it is. We're now in your city, and I don't see any of you. Businesses aren't even open on a Monday, for God's sakes. Restaurants don't even open up for lunch.

01:55:54 - 01:55:56 | Speaker 5:

Restaurants aren't open on Mondays anymore.

01:55:56 - 01:56:11 | Speaker 3:

And it's gotten to a point now where I'm thinking to myself, all right, guys, if that's the case, then you know what? I'm staying in Oakland County. I'm going to be staying out there in West Bloomfield where at least I know I can see some people. Because you know what? They're all walking their dogs because they're all home, you know? I don't know.

01:56:11 - 01:56:36 | Speaker 2:

I feel like honestly it's going to get worse before it gets better, especially when you infuse technology into it. And you got, like, if you was watching, like, the Tesla, I don't know what Elon calls his, like, State of the Unions, where they talk about what's coming next. But a couple of months ago, you're going to have taxi cabs with no drivers in them. They already are doing that over in Los Angeles. Like, that's going to be the wave of the future. And you know what? You're not going to see people.

01:56:36 - 01:56:40 | Speaker 3:

We're going to have AIDJ in the morning here because I got to be honest with you. I don't know.

01:56:40 - 01:56:49 | Speaker 2:

Because look, some of these companies realize that they're spending too much money on lights and snacks and bills when they can get the same production of the people working at home.

01:56:49 - 01:57:10 | Speaker 3:

But I don't think it's always just the company. I think it's the people that work for the company that, you know, decide. I'm not a work from Homer. We never were. During COVID, we all came in here. We actually, as a show, everybody that was on the show in 2020 wanted to be here in studio because, you know what, we all felt like we could not fake it from our houses.

01:57:10 - 01:57:15 | Speaker 5:

The vibe is so different on this show when somebody's broadcasting from home.

01:57:16 - 01:57:34 | Speaker 3:

And you know what? It really is. The people that text and say, Mojo, you sound old. Okay, then that's fine. But you know what this old man's going to do? This old man's not going to do this anymore. Because I got to be quite honest with you, it's gotten to a point now where I still love what I do for a living. I'm not loving it by the way that we're doing it right now.

01:57:34 - 01:58:03 | Speaker 5:

It has been so interesting to watch Wes, and I've said this to you, Mojo, he had a job for years and years where he was in an office. They had a huge office of company he worked for in Troy with all the fun amenities, Kev, like the massage chairs and the snack kitchen, and they would always do food trucks and parties and whatever, and then that went away, and he worked from home up until January, and now that he is in an office again that has a really fun company culture, his mood when he comes home, it's crazy how drastic it is to me, different and positive. It does make the difference. It does, yeah.

01:58:04 - 01:58:06 | Speaker 3:

Angela, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

01:58:07 - 01:58:09 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, everybody. How are you? Good morning.

01:58:09 - 01:58:13 | Speaker 3:

Doing okay. hey, Angela, I'm hoping that in a couple minutes I might see a body walk through the door.

01:58:14 - 01:58:32 | Speaker 4:

Maybe. I mean, I'm a little down the street from you guys, but I've gone downtown and worked. I work in Corktown for nine years, and I promise you, ever since people started coming back to the office after COVID and after this and that, Mondays and Fridays, that traffic is nothing going home and coming in.

01:58:32 - 01:58:35 | Speaker 3:

Everybody's taking four-day weekends, right?

01:58:35 - 01:59:00 | Speaker 4:

Wouldn't it be nice, right? I mean, we all did. i work at the dental school so we thought we would not shut down we have a whole clinic um even the administration we we were there for a little bit longer and then yeah we did our jobs from home so we know we can do them but we're not allowed to do that anymore and it's kind of frustrating because we know we can do our jobs from home and if we want to have a remote day

01:59:00 - 01:59:22 | Speaker 3:

they won't let us take a monday or a friday wow baffling to me yeah i i i'll tell you this by By the way, hats off to you for continuing to go in there and do it every single day and continuing to get out there. Maybe what we need to do is the people that are going to work, maybe we all need to have like a book club or something. We all need to get together and hang out.

01:59:22 - 01:59:30 | Speaker 5:

Or we should open up the garage doors here at iHeart, and everybody can just come and have lunch here and hang out. Bring your lunch and just at least, yeah, say hi.

01:59:30 - 01:59:44 | Speaker 3:

If this was the case, we could have done this same exact thing, but done it in Farmington Hills at half the size of the building, right? I wouldn't have had to drive an hour to work every day. What's up, Initial S? Your voice disguised.

01:59:45 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, hi. I just wanted to say that I actually agree with you, Mojo. So I work at Rocket Mortgage, and, you know, Rocket Mortgage employees, you know, thousands of people in the city of Detroit downtown, and two days a week.

02:00:00 - 02:00:11 | Speaker 5:

mondays and fridays they made it so that we work home that's thousands of people in the heart of detroit that are not in the city two days a week you know so you're right it does kind of

02:00:11 - 02:00:49 | Speaker 2:

how do you explain that to the guy that owns the restaurant that's right there that has to pay his his bills for 31 days out of the month knowing that there's a few days where nobody's going to be there i don't know how that guy pays his bills still listen tommy loves us but i get it yeah no that's it's it's that's the that's the thing i'm thinking about i'm thinking about morale like yesterday after the we had a great show yesterday it was an amazing show we had great listeners calling in there was a lot of stuff going on a lot of action everything was good and then you get off the air and i'm like i might as well go home there's nothing going on

02:00:49 - 02:00:56 | Speaker 4:

around here we do we all just go home what's up christy hi hey can you guys hear me yes i got you

02:00:56 - 02:01:06 | Speaker 2:

christy loud and clear where are you brought where are you from right now it's it's christine oh christine in georgia okay oh okay what's going on is how is it in georgia are people showing up

02:01:06 - 02:02:19 | Speaker 5:

for work well we just we actually just came back to the building so our building caught on fire last year and so we were remote for an entire year and that was the best time I mean for my mental health it was great I had slow mornings where I can wake up slow start my work I didn't have to you know put fit in the routine of you know fighting traffic and getting ready and so being back in the office now is just it's an adjustment yeah but I mean there is a culture that i think is more it's fake being at an office you know you're putting on you're putting on you know a personality or a smile to talk with someone that you know you're just it's only about work you know and and i just don't feel like i'm building with people i don't know maybe i'm anti-social or whatever but um you know for me it's i'm at work i have to put on a face i have to communicate with these folks and they are my co-workers at the end of the day is their respect Absolutely. But when I leave out the door, I'm not caring about, you know, building this culture. Am I a teammate? Sure. You know, I'm doing what I got to do.

02:02:20 - 02:02:22 | Speaker 2:

But at the same time.

02:02:22 - 02:02:37 | Speaker 5:

She there for the bag, bro. She's not there for the BS. Period. Period. I'm there to get my money. Because. I respect you. You respect me. And I'm going to do my job. I feel you. However, when I walk out these doors, I'm done.

02:02:37 - 02:02:47 | Speaker 3:

I feel you. Because, look, I done been fired from places. These companies will suck you dry until they ain't got no more of you, and then they'll dump your ass. So why do I need to show up? I understand that perspective.

02:02:47 - 02:03:11 | Speaker 2:

Can I say this, though, Christine? Not everybody has family, and not everybody has friends. Their work is their social, and there's a lot of people that this is their way to be able to see another human being. And that's, I think, one of the things that we've been faced with when we're all at home. There are some people that are at home and don't see anybody. They got their cat or their dog, and that's pretty much it. And I think that for some people, this is not.

02:03:11 - 02:03:12 | Speaker 5:

I love it because that's like me.

02:03:12 - 02:03:24 | Speaker 2:

Well, and you enjoy that, but there are some people I think it causes anxiety. The other thing, too, is how are we going to ever have inter-office romances if we don't have people in the goddamn office?

02:03:25 - 02:03:28 | Speaker 3:

That's what the holiday party is for. There's that right thing. We don't even have holiday parties.

02:03:29 - 02:03:34 | Speaker 2:

We don't even have holiday parties. You know, we got basically a potlucks.

02:03:34 - 02:03:49 | Speaker 4:

Wait, Mojo, where were we recently? This also lends itself to, where were we? And you were like, oh, who are you? Do you work for the, and then you were like, wait, the girl said she worked for iHeart. I can't remember where we were, and I was like, but we don't see anybody. We've never seen her before. Yeah, it's so crazy.

02:03:50 - 02:03:51 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Ron? Hi, it's Mojo in the Morning.

02:03:53 - 02:04:10 | Speaker 1:

Hey, I was calling in. Mike, I had a perspective for you. My question was, is what's the difference between when you go to Florida and you are always remote doing it? you've done it like, what, six or seven times in the last three months probably than when you are in studio with everybody else?

02:04:10 - 02:04:37 | Speaker 2:

Well, it's what I said. It's what I said. I said I'd rather be down there because there's people that are walking in and out of their offices. And I agree. Listen, I could be down there if I wanted to, and I could be consistently from December until the last snowflake falls on the ground. I can't do that. Our show would suffer if I'm always there. And I'm going to tell you this. But, Ron, I found myself liking being down there because I see people.

02:04:38 - 02:04:56 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no, I completely understand that. I'm more of a social butterfly. I like to be in a setting. That's why I own a business and do things and go out and see a bunch of different people every day. But I guess they make technology with your you're on FaceTime. You guys can you guys. Right. I was going to say we can see him. Everybody can see everybody.

02:04:56 - 02:05:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. But but but here's a here's also another.

02:05:00 - 02:06:07 | Speaker 1:

problem too is i i just think for us as a radio station and i'm not some businesses some work you don't need to be around people i think for us though i think what we lack here is we lack the hey we're thinking about putting a promotion together can we do this now what we do is we send 8 000 emails and there's an email chain where i gotta go back and go the first one was sent like a month ago like there's like there's a what is it like the email snake that we have here where i'm like i don't even know where it started you know what i mean like we're going back and forth where if we're in front of each other we can go hey man got a second i want to bring something up to you um i mean that's honestly breast christmas ever was a promotion we did back in the day you know where that promotion came about not in a conference room came about outside the studio doors of channel 955 when we were standing out there in front of i think angel uh who was the sales rep for uh dr gray and it was like hey would he ever give away some boobs we should do this thing we got this idea for breast christmas ever and it was like like the contest like that

02:06:07 - 02:06:27 | Speaker 2:

that's how things happen so i feel like this world is driven on incentives what are you incentivized to do determines what your output is and when companies started realizing that when you talk about culture the mental health of people had enhanced and the production didn't decline it It wasn't a rush to get people back into the office because they're saving bread.

02:06:27 - 02:06:31 | Speaker 1:

You truly believe people's mental health is better right now than it was five years ago?

02:06:31 - 02:06:46 | Speaker 2:

Like our girl said, I ain't got to wake up in the morning. You just complained about going from 14 minutes to 55. You don't got to spend that money on gas. You don't got to spend that money on traffic, maybe getting in an accident. You chilling at the crib. You can make your Pop-Tarts, have your TV on in the back and do your thing without having to see anybody.

02:06:46 - 02:06:52 | Speaker 1:

But I think that we've got more mental health problems right now than we did before. I really do.

02:06:52 - 02:06:52 | Speaker 2:

I ain't going to say that.

02:06:54 - 02:06:56 | Speaker 1:

Jessica, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

02:06:57 - 02:07:02 | Speaker 3:

First and foremost, long time, long time, but this is my first time with Kev.

02:07:03 - 02:07:05 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Jessica on the phone.

02:07:06 - 02:07:06 | Unknown:

I like that.

02:07:07 - 02:07:32 | Speaker 3:

Now, Mojo, you're annoying me, and I'll tell you why. Okay. The child care is too damn high. I am a work-from-home, stay-at-home mom. If I have to go in the office, then I might as well not have a job because all my paycheck would go to child care. No, that is an interesting point. So don't be pushing this agenda to put us back in the office because the last thing I need is for my employer to hear this and get some crazy ideas.

02:07:32 - 02:07:36 | Speaker 1:

How about this? You bring your kid with you. It's another person I can look at and talk to.

02:07:38 - 02:07:47 | Speaker 3:

No, let me tell you this. You want to talk about morale? Try having a one-year-old and a three-year-old crawling all over you while you're trying to work. Oh, I don't know how you do it. Morale is very low. Yeah.

02:07:47 - 02:07:53 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, well, but I will say this to you, Jessica, there are times where it's nice to get away from them, isn't it?

02:07:53 - 02:08:04 | Speaker 3:

Heck yeah, I had to go into the office to get a new computer, and I said, I'm about to just post up, stay in this quiet-ass office, not worry about the kids. What did I tell you? It was nice. Meet next 15 times a day.

02:08:04 - 02:08:20 | Speaker 1:

It was nice. It was nice to do that every now and again. All right, well, here's the deal. If you can't beat them, join them. This radio show is only going to be three days a week. We're going to go Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, because it sounds to me like everybody's off Mondays and Fridays. Thoughts? Anybody? Let's take a vote.

02:08:20 - 02:08:22 | Speaker 2:

As long as the check don't change.

02:08:22 - 02:08:55 | Speaker 1:

Let's take a vote. I'm right there. Come on. You've got to vote on this one. Every vote counts on this. Mojo in the Morning, full of faces for radio and makeup. This is Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:08:58 - 02:09:02 | Speaker 1:

Shannon Murphy. Is that your name?

02:09:02 - 02:09:02 | Unknown:

That's me.

02:09:02 - 02:09:04 | Speaker 1:

How you doing, Shannon? What's going on in the Dirty on the 30?

02:09:05 - 02:09:06 | Unknown:

There it is.

02:09:06 - 02:09:14 | Speaker 1:

Whitlock. My name is actually Shannon Murphy. She is a radio show host. I acknowledge the Whitlam in your life.

02:09:14 - 02:09:16 | Speaker 2:

Turn that M upside down.

02:09:16 - 02:09:18 | Speaker 1:

What is your real name, by the way?

02:09:18 - 02:09:19 | Speaker 2:

Kevin Irwin. The second.

02:09:20 - 02:09:20 | Speaker 1:

Is it really?

02:09:20 - 02:09:21 | Unknown:

Yeah.

02:09:21 - 02:09:24 | Speaker 1:

Why did I think that was an alias, too? What's going on?

02:09:25 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 4:

So we've got some big local sports dirty everybody's talking about this morning. The Tigers assistant general manager, you probably didn't even know him by name until now. His name is Sam Menzen, has resigned just as the Tigers were about to fire him amid an investigation into claims that he was sending some date pics to female staff members. Three women claim they received unsolicited photos via Snapchat. These allegations go back to 2017. This is when this started. Two of them work for or worked for the Tigers. The other does not. She worked for Emma.

02:10:00 - 02:10:37 | Speaker 3:

but in a statement the Tigers organization said once they were made aware of what was going on here they promptly completed an investigation but before the club could fire Sam he resigned and as for why the allegations didn't come to light sooner because I know that's always a question when I say like oh this dates back to 2017 one of the alleged victims did an interview with The Athletic and she said nobody would have believed us nobody would have believed that it was sam a long time baseball executive that was you know sending d picks um so they just doesn't seem like a d pick kind of guy is that what they're saying yes that's exactly what you never know

02:10:37 - 02:11:00 | Speaker 1:

who those d pick kind of guys are by the way all this happening while the this team i guess the guy was with him since 2017 thinking sam needed to work a little harder on making a baseball team i mean come on thank god they got these new general managers that are there right now doing some things. Why would he resign instead of just... Or he was going to get fired. It'd be on his record. It's still on his record. Always better to resign.

02:11:00 - 02:11:04 | Speaker 3:

Is it? I mean, it looks better. You can't collect unemployment. Unfortunately, now this story is out there.

02:11:05 - 02:11:10 | Speaker 1:

The guy's not going to collect unemployment. They'll fire him for cause. There's no unemployment going on there. Yeah. Oh, okay. This guy's sending D-picks.

02:11:11 - 02:11:31 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Alright. So, Kanye West dissing Drake in his new record. I'm not even going to say the name of the song. I'm not going to play you a clip of the song. I'm just... extraordinarily offensive. Does it start with two H's? Yep. Okay. Yeah. It's going to appear on his album WW3.

02:11:32 - 02:11:34 | Speaker 2:

World War 3? I'm disappointed.

02:11:34 - 02:12:19 | Speaker 3:

It's... It came in my prep this morning when I was preparing the Dirty for the show. I'm like, I'm not previewing it. I'm not talking about it. I'm not going to say the name, but just know it's out there. You'll see it. And it's coming. Just one week after Sydney Sweeney and her ex-fiance Jonathan DeVino's breakup was confirmed and very much talked about because she was in Dallas at her former co-star Glenn Powell's sister's wedding. The former couple spotted together in Los Angeles. Neither party has addressed their split publicly yet. And I just want to give you a heads up. I know a lot of people watch Wheel of Fortune now, young and old, like everybody's watching Wheel. This week, I saw this last night, Ryan Seacrest announced it's iHeart Radio Week

02:12:19 - 02:12:30 | Speaker 1:

And here's why I'm talking about this

02:12:30 - 02:13:07 | Speaker 3:

The company actually did not Is that forcing me to talk about this or anything like that If you have ever wanted to go to Like a Jingle Ball Or the iHeartRadio Music Festival Or any of like the fun shows we do In Miami or the Country Festival We put on You can actually win even if you're not a contestant on the show. So check out the show. There are different things that are going to be happening all week if you watch Wheel with our buddy Ryan Seacrest. Let me say this. VIP experiences, tickets to shows, trips, like all sorts of things. Even if you are not a contestant on the show, which obviously you're not, it was already taped, but you can watch him win.

02:13:07 - 02:13:18 | Speaker 2:

That's very cool. And shout out to Ryan merging the two worlds together. I think that's incredible. I don't like that it's being called Wheel. Don't mess with the name. That's what the kids call it.

02:13:18 - 02:13:23 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, what is the reasoning for that? They want to make it sound different or something?

02:13:23 - 02:13:29 | Speaker 2:

I think they're trying to make it sound cool and youthful. Like, no, don't mess with it. Interesting. Watching Wheel.

02:13:29 - 02:13:48 | Speaker 1:

No. Hey, guys, it's Ryan Seacrest from American Idol. And people of Detroit, you voted. So more Mojo in the Morning coming up next. He's got to get one with saying Wheel. Yeah. Saying the host Wheel. There was a rumor in one of the tabloid thingies. I don't know. It was TMZ I saw that said that Ryan was going to leave Wheel or something like that.

02:13:48 - 02:13:53 | Speaker 3:

already yeah there was like that i feel like this is his like this was his thing in butter for a

02:13:53 - 02:14:02 | Speaker 1:

while yeah like he's that's what i thought too but they were like talking about the i don't know i thought he he and vanna look like they actually get along with each other so oh my god somebody's

02:14:02 - 02:14:13 | Speaker 3:

02:14:46 - 02:14:47 | Speaker 3:

We just went out to lunch last week.

02:14:47 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 1:

Angel, if you want, we'll carpool in together. You just got to come with me to work. I hope at that time I might as well. See that? And you get your day done early. All right, let's do it. All right, done. We're going to do that. We've never done that as a show. We should carpool.

02:15:00 - 02:15:32 | Speaker 3:

Cool to work. Well, I'll pick each other up along the way. All right. All right. Kevin, by the way, you'll be the last one picked up because you're the closest one to the studios here. Jessica. Jessica, are you there? Hello. Hey, what's up? Hi. Hi. You're a winner. Yeah. So excited. Congratulations to you. You are now qualified to win a brand new car or $25,000 cash. What would you take if you had a chance? If you found the fob at Moran Chevrolet, what would you do? Would you take the car or would you take the cash?

02:15:33 - 02:15:34 | Speaker 2:

I would take the car.

02:15:35 - 02:15:37 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I like it. And what kind of car are you hoping for?

02:15:38 - 02:15:41 | Speaker 2:

I'm hoping for an Equinox because I need a bigger car.

02:15:41 - 02:15:44 | Speaker 3:

You know what? I think that's nice. What are you driving right now?

02:15:45 - 02:15:51 | Speaker 1:

I'm driving a Chevy Cruze right now and just had another kid and the car is way too tiny. Oh, yeah. You need a little upgrade there.

02:15:51 - 02:16:02 | Speaker 3:

And I love the fact that you're keeping it in the Chevy family. So congratulations to you on this. Hang on the phone for just one second. We have another chance to get in coming up at 9.30 this morning.

02:16:02 - 02:16:11 | Speaker 1:

If you start a relationship being the other woman, you will never be the only woman. Another world-famous War of the Roses happens at 9.40 on Mojo in the Morning.

02:16:13 - 02:16:36 | Speaker 3:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning live. By the way, I am $40 richer because of one Kevin Irwin II.

02:16:36 - 02:16:42 | Speaker 2:

I will say this. When it comes down to the big games and the big matchups, I will say you're always right.

02:16:43 - 02:16:44 | Speaker 3:

I don't know about that.

02:16:44 - 02:16:45 | Speaker 2:

I'm telling you.

02:16:45 - 02:16:46 | Speaker 3:

I was right twice.

02:16:47 - 02:16:49 | Speaker 2:

That's this season. Last season, you called a few games also.

02:16:50 - 02:16:56 | Speaker 3:

You know, Kevin, if you only saw my parlays, I can't go more than one game. I can't parlay.

02:16:56 - 02:16:57 | Speaker 1:

What is a parlay?

02:16:58 - 02:17:04 | Speaker 3:

Parlay is when you put a string of bets together, basically. And my son...

02:17:04 - 02:17:07 | Speaker 1:

And you have to hit them all to get the money? Yes. On some apps.

02:17:07 - 02:17:25 | Speaker 3:

My son, Joe, is a master of losing the last of the parlays. He's the master. I think everybody is, right? Where all of a sudden, they have the craziest parlay going. They got a seven-team parlay going. And then the seventh game, they completely fail at by one point.

02:17:25 - 02:17:30 | Speaker 2:

If your man is mad for no reason He probably didn't hit his parlor

02:17:30 - 02:17:34 | Speaker 3:

That's true So give him love ladies Give him love

02:17:34 - 02:17:36 | Speaker 2:

Never mind

02:17:36 - 02:17:56 | Speaker 3:

I'm all worked up All worked up this morning Between that War of the Roses That we had Between The Conversation that we just had about Coming to the office Which now everybody's starting to come in Which is nice See, I got him up out of bed.

02:17:56 - 02:18:02 | Speaker 1:

Well, we also had a very big meeting today. Break it to us, Shannon. Like the once a quarter meeting we had.

02:18:03 - 02:18:21 | Speaker 3:

Between Shannon and the movie theater, did you see, by the way, we got a text message from the Imagine Theaters. The Imagine Theaters contacted us just a second ago and said, Shannon, we would love to host you and your children for an uninterrupted version of the Minecraft movie.

02:18:22 - 02:18:25 | Speaker 1:

Oh! I know, they're so sweet. Come on, Shannon. I'm so, so kind over there.

02:18:25 - 02:18:26 | Speaker 3:

Actually, it won't be.

02:18:26 - 02:18:27 | Speaker 1:

Not why I was talking about it, by the way.

02:18:27 - 02:18:35 | Speaker 3:

I was really calling myself out for being a Karen. It won't be uninterrupted. I'll find out when it is, and I'll gather up some teens.

02:18:38 - 02:18:39 | Speaker 2:

What's your favorite movie snack?

02:18:42 - 02:18:51 | Speaker 1:

I mean, I'm kind of boring. I love popcorn, and I like taking peanut M&Ms and dumping it into the popcorn so they get kind of melty. A little surprise. That's my thing.

02:18:51 - 02:19:06 | Speaker 2:

Josiah's really been big on these like cinnamon sticks at Imagine. Cinnamon pretzels. They have pretzels that are soft pretzels that are kind of like pretzel bites. So like the tater tot version, and they're drenched in cinnamon. He had those a couple movies ago, and now it's the only thing he'll eat.

02:19:06 - 02:19:07 | Speaker 1:

And Nerds Gummy Clusters are always good.

02:19:07 - 02:19:12 | Speaker 3:

Do they have at Imagine? Do they have actual tater tots? Because wouldn't tater tots be great at a movie theater?

02:19:12 - 02:19:13 | Speaker 2:

I'm not a tater tot person.

02:19:13 - 02:19:14 | Speaker 3:

I love tater tots.

02:19:14 - 02:19:15 | Speaker 2:

Oh my God, are you kidding me?

02:19:15 - 02:19:15 | Speaker 3:

I love them.

02:19:15 - 02:19:17 | Speaker 2:

I like fries. I'm not really big in a tater tot.

02:19:17 - 02:19:31 | Speaker 3:

Okay, here's a question for you. If you could have a private screening of any movie at all, it could be any movie in the world, where it's just you in the movie theater with maybe a couple of your best friends, what movie would you do?

02:19:31 - 02:19:32 | Speaker 2:

Big Girls Like a Rough Five.

02:19:33 - 02:19:36 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my Jesus. Lord in heaven.

02:19:36 - 02:19:37 | Speaker 3:

I did not expect that.

02:19:37 - 02:19:41 | Speaker 1:

Neither did I. And honestly, that came out so fast. Hold on a second.

02:19:41 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 3:

I feel like you just watched it. Me too. Let's watch it together. Would you watch it with me? Yeah, yeah, easy. Feet for Climb Tomb, easy. Big girls like her. I've got to Google that one. I've never seen that one. Five? They've had five of them? Or is there more than five? Did six, seven, and eight not go so well? I saw five, and I was like, I like it here.

02:20:00 - 02:20:47 | Speaker 1:

The big girl's not like it that rough by the time that it came out to five. No, but seriously, pay them for it. It's a Rockefeller film. Jesus. It's another movie I don't know. That's my favorite movie of all time. For my birthday years ago, Chelsea did that where she rented from Anthony and Paul over at the Imagine. She rented a theater and she showed Office Space because I used to always say, I've never seen the movie Office Space in a theater. What a great idea, Chelsea. And so she rented the theater out, and all my friends came and watched Office Space, and half the people were like, could you have picked a better movie? And then the other half of the people were like, oh my God, that was a classic. It was being cool to be able to see it. Did you enjoy it? I loved it. Actually, it was tough, because we were all my friends. I wanted to talk to them, you know, instead of watching a movie.

02:20:47 - 02:20:50 | Speaker 2:

Which you can do at those private theaters is nice. We'll be your movie. Dirty Dancing.

02:20:51 - 02:20:53 | Speaker 1:

Easy? I don't think I've ever seen that. Not easy.

02:20:53 - 02:21:01 | Speaker 2:

It just, I don't know why that was top of mind, but I'd probably pick Dirty Dancing, because Because I like to, like, the music's good, so you could sing and not bother anybody.

02:21:02 - 02:21:22 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. For some reason, the movie that I would want to do would be the movie that I always see on HBO in the middle of the night on a weekend. Which one? And that's Roadhouse. I've never seen Roadhouse. Never? No. Not the new one, although that was actually pretty good. But the, like, Patrick Swayze, old school. It's always on in the middle of the night on, like, one of the cable channels.

02:21:22 - 02:21:24 | Speaker 2:

He was whooping ass. Patrick Swayze was so hot.

02:21:24 - 02:22:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. That's your guy? He was. um all right mojo in the morning show uh megan's uh on vacation for the week it's uh shannon kev we've got lydia zach bianca big say um and oh it's time now for am i the a-hole on mojo in the morning this is where you get to tell us what you did and then we will decide whether or not we think what you did was a-hole-ish. Please don't swear if you can keep from, you know, saying the actual word. This is a voice memo that was sent to us. Actually, what is it? What the hell is it called? Talkback on the iHeartRadio app. Hi, my name is Jackie. My issue is I'm a single mom with

02:22:13 - 02:22:33 | Speaker 3:

02:22:33 - 02:22:59 | Speaker 1:

a bad person or are you an a-hole for doing this well i guess it all depends on on what the circumstances were as far as the dog's health is concerned uh jackie is on with us jackie are you there yeah i'm here first off i'm sorry to hear about your dog so jackie what was the illness that your dog had that you uh put your dog down well um it illness it's an aging process but

02:22:59 - 02:23:26 | Speaker 3:

02:23:26 - 02:23:37 | Speaker 1:

just googled this how much for dog cataract surgery was a cataract in both eyes or just one eye yeah both both eyes it says between twenty five hundred and four thousand dollars per eye

02:23:37 - 02:23:46 | Speaker 2:

you know charlie has cataracts though and he just he just kind of deals he just kind of like walks in the walls he doesn't though no he doesn't maybe i don't he doesn't have that bad i don't know it

02:23:46 - 02:24:01 | Speaker 1:

says the average cost of canine cataract surgery can range between twenty five hundred and four thousand dollars per eye if cataracts oh god impound your dog's quality of life cataract surgery can help to relieve the pain and improve the dog's vision she just couldn't see a future

02:24:01 - 02:24:16 | Speaker 3:

with him how old's your dog oh 16 16 oh god oh that's that's an old dog though you still can't kill him because he can't see yeah i know but that my kids are so mad at me now they don't

02:24:16 - 02:24:52 | Speaker 1:

understand i mean 16 is all right so all right is that a reason to put your dog down uh 844 mojo live is jackie an a-hole 844-665-6548 we put our uh dog lily down that's the only dog that we actually had to uh to ever put down um it was the most traumatic situation ever uh my family literally for weeks was uh was depressed um it was awful i can only imagine how this must have been did you tell that your kids that you had to put the dog down or did you

02:24:52 - 02:24:58 | Speaker 3:

just tell the kids that the dog died no i i said i i was honest with them and you told you know it

02:24:58 - 02:25:00 | Speaker 1:

You told him that you had the president.

02:25:00 - 02:25:11 | Speaker 4:

to tell the truth yeah i said it was just i explained it was like quality of life and we don't want the dog to suffer okay and but they were still mad okay they don't understand i was

02:25:11 - 02:25:18 | Speaker 2:

gonna say you would definitely be in a an a-hole if you lied about it but i would understand if you did lie about it especially if you got young kids and you're a single mom back up what's going

02:25:18 - 02:26:21 | Speaker 3:

on is uh jackie an a-hole not an a-hole my heart hurts for her i actually was just having this conversation with someone recently about like how so many animals end up in the pound and animal shelters because so many single parents or just families in general can't afford animal care these days and then they're just stuck in the shelter and so many shelters can't even afford those surgeries themselves because it's non-profit and their quality of life just decreases nobody adopts them and they just sit there and like she said this dog was 16 yeah and i mean my parents they just spent eight like eight thousand dollars to get both of their dogs eyes removed due to cataracts and she was 14 and only lived like another year and they were like yeah oh my god hold on uh i never heard they just took the eyes out they took the eyes out both the eyes out she had no eyes So, what was she doing? Just, what was going on?

02:26:21 - 02:26:22 | Speaker 2:

She was walking into the walls.

02:26:23 - 02:26:32 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it was, so it was bad cataracts, and then they did the cataract surgery, and then it helped within six months, so they were like, okay, well, we have to remove her eyes. Oh, my God. Because of, like, the disease and everything.

02:26:32 - 02:26:44 | Speaker 1:

There is a lady in my neighborhood who has, same dog as Charlie, a toy poodle. With no eyes? It has cataracts really bad, and I don't think the dog can walk very well, but she still takes it on walks every day in a stroller.

02:26:44 - 02:26:48 | Speaker 2:

Wow. What's up, Darlene? Hi. Is Jackie an a-hole?

02:26:49 - 02:27:26 | Speaker 5:

No, she isn't. Because recently, just a couple months ago, I had to put two of my dogs down. Oh, my gosh. They were only a year and a half. I let them out in the yard. They were pit bulls and Great Dane mix, but they were tall. But I let them out in the back like I always do. And another dog jumped the fence, mauled both of them. And they told me the damage to their legs would cost me, for each dog, $4,500. So I had to put them down.

02:27:26 - 02:27:29 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I am so sorry. I can hear it in your voice.

02:27:30 - 02:27:54 | Speaker 5:

Because their legs were chewed up and the pain was horrible. I did pay to try to fix it. But when I took them back for the re-thing, they told me I would have to have surgery on both of them, and it's going to cost me more than what I had. And he belonged to my great-grandson. Oh, I am just... He's only two. They were his love of mine.

02:27:55 - 02:27:56 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, poor Darlene.

02:27:56 - 02:28:00 | Speaker 5:

But I don't believe she's an a-hole. Thank you, Darlene. Because you have to do what you have to do.

02:28:00 - 02:28:14 | Speaker 2:

You're a sweet lady. By the way, Darlene sounds like she should be a voice actress. She's got that voice, doesn't she? She's got a little bit. She's upset. Darlene, I love you, Darlene.

02:28:14 - 02:28:19 | Speaker 5:

Thank you, and I listen to you every morning. God bless you. God bless you.

02:28:19 - 02:28:22 | Speaker 2:

What was your dog's name? Two dogs.

02:28:22 - 02:28:27 | Speaker 5:

One was Pee Wee. The female was Isis, and the male was called Pee Wee.

02:28:27 - 02:28:28 | Speaker 2:

Wait, you had a dog named Isis?

02:28:29 - 02:28:30 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:28:31 - 02:28:36 | Speaker 2:

Did you also have a dog named Al Qaeda? What is going on? That's the cat's name.

02:28:36 - 02:28:44 | Speaker 5:

She was, uh, Isis was all white and she had a black, uh, black around her. All right. She was white with brown spots.

02:28:44 - 02:28:50 | Speaker 2:

Oh my Lord. Okay. All right. Well, thank you. Thank you for the call. You're welcome. Take care.

02:28:50 - 02:28:50 | Unknown:

Bye.

02:28:50 - 02:28:58 | Speaker 2:

Hold on. Amber, uh, everybody's been saying that Jackie's not an a-hole except you. What's up?

02:28:58 - 02:29:17 | Speaker 4:

I think that Jackie might be an a-hole because, you know, if the dog had cataracts, she could have rehomed him and somebody would have continued to love him, whether he bumped into stuff or not, and, you know, continued to give him a good life for the rest of his days, you know?

02:29:17 - 02:29:28 | Speaker 2:

So even if the dog was bumping into walls at home and having to, like, you know, be taken care of, if she didn't do the surgery, everything would have been okay. She doesn't have to spend any money.

02:29:28 - 02:29:36 | Speaker 4:

There are people that would love that dog regardless if he was bumping into walls and, you know, give him a good space to live in.

02:29:36 - 02:29:46 | Speaker 2:

Because that one caller that called up, I think I agree with them. You're putting a lot of stress on the shelters by giving them a bad dog. A bad dog.

02:29:47 - 02:29:50 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. There's a better way to say that.

02:29:50 - 02:29:55 | Speaker 2:

There's a better way to say that. He's got issues. You know what I mean?

02:29:55 - 02:29:58 | Speaker 1:

there's a home for everybody

02:29:58 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 2:

and if she's

02:30:00 - 02:30:13 | Speaker 1:

And I will tell you this, dog people get crazy. If you're spending more money on your dog than you are on your kids, then I think that that's a wrong thing. Don't take food out of your baby's mouths.

02:30:14 - 02:30:26 | Speaker 3:

Well, I guess I can't speak to having kids because I only have pets. Yeah, I understand. I understand where she's coming from. I can see her side. But at the same time, there's somebody out there that would have loved that dog continuously.

02:30:26 - 02:30:45 | Speaker 6:

The dog's age makes me change my opinion a little bit about that. The dog's 16 years old, but still, I mean, my dog is 15 and a half. Shannon wants to put me down. My dog is 15 and a half, and I pray that he goes in his sleep so I don't have to make that decision because I could never, ever, ever make that decision.

02:30:45 - 02:30:46 | Speaker 1:

Or get hit by a car.

02:30:46 - 02:30:48 | Speaker 6:

No, oh, my God, no.

02:30:48 - 02:30:50 | Speaker 1:

Caitlin, what's up, Caitlin?

02:30:51 - 02:30:51 | Speaker 4:

Hey.

02:30:52 - 02:30:53 | Speaker 1:

Hi, what's going on?

02:30:55 - 02:31:06 | Speaker 4:

Oh, nothing, just listening. I mean, the dog is old. That makes me feel a little less of an a-hole from her. But still, I feel like she didn't need to kill the dog, you know?

02:31:06 - 02:31:12 | Speaker 1:

Agree. Jackie, I think you're fine. But don't – she's on there. Talk to Jackie, Caitlin. You just said that.

02:31:12 - 02:31:23 | Speaker 2:

Oh, hey, Jackie. Jackie. Hi. Hi. How you doing? I'm doing good. It was a hard decision, but, you know. I know, yeah. I'm a single mom. Don't talk about it.

02:31:24 - 02:31:25 | Speaker 3:

You know, it's hard.

02:31:26 - 02:31:38 | Speaker 4:

my cat lost his leg last year so i i i feel ya but we are we have by the way

02:31:38 - 02:31:55 | Speaker 1:

we've got dogs with no eyes we've got cats with no legs what is going on can we get all these animals together and let's all have like a like a station

02:31:55 - 02:32:00 | Speaker 3:

a deformed did you just say a preformed actor

02:32:00 - 02:32:22 | Speaker 1:

no she said a deformed but that's even worse no let's have everybody's crazy animals come together and let's all celebrate our animals that have a little problem or something Jackie I feel bad for you but everybody seems to be really nice to you look at these textures that are coming in

02:32:22 - 02:32:25 | Speaker 2:

well that helps me a lot They'll get over it.

02:32:27 - 02:32:31 | Speaker 1:

They'll deal with it. Jessica, what's up? Hi.

02:32:32 - 02:32:42 | Speaker 5:

Hi, Mojo. How are you? So Jackie is, I'm good. Jackie is definitely an A.H. I'm sorry. She is. I can't believe people are saying she's not.

02:32:42 - 02:32:49 | Speaker 1:

Well, I think that people are being, understanding that it's a 16-year-old dog, and it would have cost her a lot of money.

02:32:50 - 02:33:26 | Speaker 5:

So I actually work at a vet. you don't have to have cataract surgery right for dogs yes so it's i mean obviously the the doctor is going to recommend it just but there's other things you can do like eye drops or stuff like that to keep them like out of pain yeah so yes so she just i i think if that was the only reason just the cataracts and there was no issues as far as like eating drinking going to the bathroom then she's definitely an ah for for putting their dog down for just cataracts with working at a vet's

02:33:26 - 02:33:36 | Speaker 1:

office what is the craziest reason why somebody put their dog down sometimes well we don't do it

02:33:36 - 02:33:51 | Speaker 5:

for just like convenience but so this guy like had to move and he couldn't bring his cats with him and he wanted to to euthanize his cats because he couldn't take them wow but we wouldn't we wouldn't, you know, it has to be a legit reason.

02:33:52 - 02:34:09 | Speaker 1:

I can't have him. Nobody can. Thank you for the call. Ryan, what did you want to say, Ryan? It's Am I the A-hole here on Mojo in the Morning. Hi. I just wanted to say, I think it's a case for bad dog law. No, no. No, top dog law.

02:34:10 - 02:34:13 | Speaker 6:

No, he's saying that because of what you said. Bad dog.

02:34:14 - 02:34:23 | Speaker 3:

You cat got one leg. No eyes By the way

02:34:23 - 02:34:28 | Speaker 1:

This show today Is a mess Are we a mess?

02:34:29 - 02:34:30 | Speaker 6:

That was funny

02:34:30 - 02:35:00 | Speaker 1:

You were the mistress Before being the girlfriend Oh that'll work Another world famous War of the Roses Happens at 940 On Mojo in the Morning mojo in the morning real quick uh kev had a question that he was going to ask but uh he left the where did he go i don't know what we're call him do it we're

02:35:06 - 02:35:08 | Speaker 1:

He has it with him because it's not.

02:35:08 - 02:35:13 | Speaker 2:

Your home of War of the Roses. Second date update, Dirty on the 30.

02:35:13 - 02:35:13 | Speaker 3:

Oh, here he is.

02:35:14 - 02:35:15 | Speaker 2:

Where were you? Were you in the potty?

02:35:15 - 02:35:17 | Speaker 3:

I thought we had more time. I had to pee.

02:35:17 - 02:35:18 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay.

02:35:18 - 02:35:19 | Speaker 3:

All right. My bad.

02:35:20 - 02:35:23 | Speaker 2:

I wanted you to ask that question about kissing.

02:35:23 - 02:35:54 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. I mean, I had this conversation with a friend, and Shannon and I actually talked about it also. But I'm a firm believer. I'm not going to say firm believer. Maybe that's too serious. But the conversation was about intimacy. And there are people out there who put bacon cookies on the same level as kissing. And I cannot, for the life of me, understand how the two are comparable in level of intimacy. And I would love to know from the people who do believe that they're comparable, why?

02:35:55 - 02:36:07 | Speaker 2:

So intimacy, you think sex is obviously the most intimate of intimacy, right? What would you rank right after, like, actual intercourse? Would you rank?

02:36:07 - 02:36:10 | Speaker 3:

I don't even think you, there's nothing in my mind that can compare to it. Nothing even close.

02:36:10 - 02:36:14 | Speaker 2:

No. Okay, so there's not even close. Shannon, how do you feel about kissing?

02:36:14 - 02:36:49 | Speaker 1:

Well, you, so there was a lot more to that discussion, but I just think that kissing is, is like a very intimate act. I feel like, I don't know. I feel like that is, it just like solidifies your relationship. I know, I know people are like, oh, you could go kiss a bunch of randoms at the bar. Well, you could also go hook up with a bunch of randoms at the bar and it mean nothing. But kissing to me is very much like an intimate behavior. I don't know that I would necessarily put it on the exact same level, but it is for sure real close.

02:36:49 - 02:37:11 | Speaker 2:

I've had a comment or conversations with guys and actually Chelsea and I both did this with a couple of my single guy friends who will, who will say, yeah, we, we were, we just did a lot of kissing. And then Chelsea will say, well, she obviously is, is into you if she's willing to do a lot of kissing and stuff and be like, it was just a kiss. I think guys look at kissing completely different where I think.

02:37:12 - 02:37:18 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I hold it to such a higher ranking. You're not kissing everybody, right? Right.

02:37:19 - 02:37:25 | Speaker 3:

That's what I'm saying. I don't get that. But to your point, maybe it is a gender-based thing, I guess.

02:37:25 - 02:37:27 | Speaker 2:

So do you consider kissing just like a handshake, then?

02:37:28 - 02:37:42 | Speaker 3:

Bro, I don't kiss anybody. I'm not saying it like that, but in terms of intercourse, it's like a kindergarten and somebody getting a PhD. It's like two totally different worlds to me.

02:37:43 - 02:37:49 | Speaker 1:

Unfortunately, now, though, to a lot of people, having sex is just like, whatever. It's on the same level as holding hands.

02:37:50 - 02:38:04 | Speaker 2:

Well, listen, and I think it seems like, you know, the younger you are, too, there's a lot of people, you know, that are the age that we were at. And they're like oral sex is nothing.

02:38:04 - 02:38:07 | Speaker 3:

That's what I'm saying. They throwing that around like it's a Frisbee.

02:38:08 - 02:38:34 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. How do you define kissing? Now, let's ask the other girls in the show. Megan's out for vacation this week. Let's ask Lydia and Bianca, because both of you guys are, you know, early 20s, you know, mid-20s. What do you guys define? Do you guys think that kissing is intimacy, or do you guys look at it as just kissing?

02:38:35 - 02:38:36 | Speaker 1:

I think it's just kissing.

02:38:36 - 02:38:36 | Speaker 2:

Really? I agree.

02:38:37 - 02:38:37 | Speaker 1:

There's nothing to it.

02:38:38 - 02:38:40 | Speaker 2:

Really? What about you, Bianca?

02:38:40 - 02:38:48 | Speaker 1:

No, I agree. Like, I can kiss someone and be like, yeah, I don't even like you. See I could never It's so funny We're really different there

02:38:48 - 02:38:52 | Speaker 2:

Did you feel intimacy with kissing when you were in your 20s then? Do you think?

02:38:53 - 02:39:01 | Speaker 1:

Well I Do you remember? Yeah I feel like I've always just kind of held that For lack of a better word kind of sacred

02:39:01 - 02:39:01 | Speaker 2:

Yeah

02:39:01 - 02:39:02 | Speaker 1:

I don't know

02:39:02 - 02:39:12 | Speaker 2:

Texter here says Kissing is only intimate If it leads to something more than kissing That is from 734

02:39:12 - 02:39:45 | Speaker 1:

I remember when Wes and I started dating and we didn't kiss for a while like we hung out a lot of times before we even kissed he holds kissing so like to him I would you need to talk to him about this it's on the same level as sex and I remember he was super weird about kissing in the beginning and I was like okay pretty woman you know if you've ever seen that movie you know the scene I'm talking about like that was a big thing. But he was like, no, this is that is like me giving such a piece of myself to you, like on the same level of sex is because I've never seen Pretty Woman.

02:39:45 - 02:39:48 | Speaker 2:

But what was the scene in Pretty Woman? Refresh my memory.

02:39:48 - 02:39:53 | Speaker 1:

Was it Richard Gere who didn't kiss on the lips or was it Julia Roberts? I think it was. I think it was Julia Roberts, wasn't it?

02:39:53 - 02:39:55 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, because she was a prostitute. Prostitute.

02:39:55 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 1:

She was like that to me. She gave her body away to anybody.

02:40:00 - 02:40:07 | Speaker 7:

Obviously, she was a prostitute, but she would not kiss. That was the one thing that she held or was holding out for somebody that she loved.

02:40:08 - 02:40:15 | Speaker 6:

810 says, I think kissing is more intimate than sex because you're in my mouth.

02:40:15 - 02:40:16 | Speaker 5:

What?

02:40:16 - 02:40:16 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

02:40:17 - 02:40:19 | Speaker 5:

So your mouth is more sacred than your vagina?

02:40:19 - 02:40:20 | Speaker 6:

What's up, Jen? Hi.

02:40:21 - 02:40:34 | Speaker 2:

I think Shannon had just a really great example when she used the pretty woman thing. Like I've had sex This sounds bad But I've had sex With like different guys And they would have sex with you But they wouldn't kiss you On your mouth

02:40:34 - 02:40:35 | Speaker 4:

That's not because

02:40:35 - 02:40:35 | Speaker 2:

It's intimate

02:40:35 - 02:40:37 | Speaker 6:

How did that make you feel As a woman?

02:40:39 - 02:40:54 | Speaker 2:

Terrible Like Because like the kissing I think most men Underrate Like the actual The kiss Like the power of it That's a very intimate thing And that can That can get you turned out And if you do it right You can make a woman Like come full circle Just off kissing And you ain't even Touched it with nothing else

02:40:54 - 02:41:02 | Speaker 5:

Sometimes though men be like, I don't know where her mouth has been if it's easy to get in her drawers. Wow, but they don't worry about that

02:41:02 - 02:41:08 | Speaker 6:

though? Although you're not kissing with a condom on though. Yeah, that's why you wouldn't do it. What's up, Ken? What's going on?

02:41:10 - 02:41:37 | Speaker 1:

Hey, so I'm going to say kissing is a little bit more intimate to me. I literally had this conversation with my partner last night. He lives in Houston. I'm supposed to go see him. So when I go see you in the airport, are you going to kiss me? and he goes like no and i go what and that kind of thought like how are you gonna not kiss me in public yet we can do other things in private he doesn't want to kiss you because why

02:41:37 - 02:41:43 | Speaker 6:

why does he why does he not want to show his affection for you i don't know that was like

02:41:43 - 02:41:59 | Speaker 1:

i really this was literally last night i've been boggling this all last night and it's really been making me mad like why wouldn't you kiss me in public but we would do things in private and so When you guys brought that topic up, I literally had to bring it up and started to change the subject. But, like, it was just embolgling me about that.

02:41:59 - 02:42:08 | Speaker 5:

Is he a PDA type of person? Does he like public displays of affection, or is that just not his thing? Or do you think it's deeper than that?

02:42:09 - 02:42:28 | Speaker 1:

He said that he doesn't like it too much. Like, he would go, like, yeah, I'll hold your hand, but, like, or I'll give you a peck, but, like, nothing, like, more than that. But, like, there'll be – I live in Detroit, and he lives in Houston, so it'll be, like, our first time seeing each other in a long time. And so I'm like, I was expecting, you know, the big kiss, hug, and all that. But he's like, no, not going to do all that.

02:42:28 - 02:42:31 | Speaker 6:

Is he not out? And maybe that's also the case, too?

02:42:32 - 02:42:34 | Speaker 1:

No, he's completely out and everything. Okay, that's interesting.

02:42:35 - 02:42:45 | Speaker 6:

Do you want Nicole from rosesbloom.com to call him? Shelly, what do you think? Kissing, is it more intimate than sex?

02:42:47 - 02:43:12 | Speaker 3:

I feel sex is more intimate, but kissing is up there. understanding i guess i think it's because of the feeling that you get you know like i mean it's a completely different kiss obviously you know i kiss my kids like just you know whatever but like it's just it's the feeling you get and i feel like the kissing leads to sex and i just feel like that's such an intimate thing to experience because i don't just go around

02:43:12 - 02:43:23 | Speaker 6:

kissing everybody and don't you think there's a difference between kissing and making out too Like there's a difference between just just kissing because I think there's sometimes you just kiss and then there's times where you're really into it.

02:43:23 - 02:43:42 | Speaker 7:

Think about the emotional connection from kissing. This is getting way too serious. But I think about like anybody could could grab like a vibrator or a sex toy and you could, you know, do your thing and quote unquote get the same feeling you have with sex. But you can't recreate the feeling you get when you are kissing somebody that you feel a certain way about.

02:43:43 - 02:43:45 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Well, it's me a vibrator.

02:43:46 - 02:43:51 | Speaker 7:

Never mind. Danielle's got a good line to this. I feel like that was a good point.

02:43:51 - 02:43:55 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Danielle? Yeah, never kiss a booty call.

02:43:56 - 02:43:56 | Speaker 6:

Ah, see?

02:43:57 - 02:44:02 | Speaker 4:

Like, that's too, it's too, like, personal. I'm with Shannon on that one.

02:44:02 - 02:44:09 | Speaker 6:

But how do you, when you say never kiss a booty call, how do you explain to them that you're not kissing them because they're a booty call? They may not want to be a booty call.

02:44:09 - 02:44:10 | Speaker 4:

Because you're just a booty call.

02:44:11 - 02:44:11 | Speaker 6:

Oh, wow.

02:44:11 - 02:44:15 | Speaker 4:

Look, I remember the girl I was. They know. Don't put your mouth on me.

02:44:15 - 02:44:30 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, the girl I was talking about yesterday who I was kind of in a relationship with, and I went through her phone and seen she was cheating with somebody else. That was one of the things she said was, I didn't even kiss him. See? Wow. How'd that make you feel? I was like, I don't give up. Oh, you still got something.

02:44:31 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:45:03 - 02:45:05 | Speaker 5:

Rose is next. First, though, Shannon with The Dirty. What's going on?

02:45:06 - 02:46:20 | Speaker 1:

Okay, I have a couple of Taylor Swift stories to start The Dirty. One, it looks like Blake Lively and Taylor have mended their friendship. And this is after all of that drama of Blake dragging her friend into the lawsuit with her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni. It really affected their friendship, meaning Blake and Taylor, from everything I've gathered about this situation. Taylor did not want to be a part of that lawsuit. So she distanced herself from Blake as far away as she possibly could. It was really important to Blake to be on good terms again with Taylor. It was never her intention to hurt Taylor or cause any harm to their friendship, even though that's what happened. So she is hoping they can put this whole thing behind them and move forward with their friendship. Also, you may have heard rumblings of breakup rumors between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey. A lot of people are speculating because they have not been seen or photographed out in public lately. They are still very much back together. Simply decided to take a break from the public eye after being heavily involved in their respective careers. And so I think people are like, oh, my God, what's going on? We haven't seen them together doing anything. But, no, they are just enjoying normal life and laying low out of the spotlight.

02:46:21 - 02:46:27 | Speaker 5:

I wonder where they're living these days. Like, what do they call home off-season? New York or L.A.? I mean, she has Rhode Island.

02:46:27 - 02:46:37 | Speaker 1:

She has so many homes. I don't know. Yeah, she stays in Rhode Island. Really? Does she? I would, too. Have you seen that house? Oh, my God. It's huge. Oh, my God. Rhode Island just sounds like a boring place.

02:46:37 - 02:46:40 | Speaker 5:

The weather sounds like it would be horrible to have, too, in the winter.

02:46:41 - 02:47:38 | Speaker 1:

All right. I want you guys to tell me what you think about this. More dog talk today. Bachelor Nation, you know who Caitlin Bristow and Jason Tardick are. Former couple, former engaged couple. Caitlin was the Bachelorette, okay? She has a podcast called Off the Vine. It's actually on the iHeartRadio app. Great podcast to check out. She is now labeling her ex as, quote, unquote, pathetic and mean for using her dream baby name for his new rescue dog. They are not together. Neither of them have children. She is not pregnant. But she said to get a dog and name that dog my dream baby name that I've had in my baby names for 10 years. She said, I even have a text that I sent to him the day that I met him saying, I want to name my baby Teddy someday. And she's saying what he did in getting a dog and naming him Teddy is just wrong. She said she feels disrespected by the whole thing.

02:47:38 - 02:47:44 | Speaker 5:

It's a good topic, by the way. Has anybody ever named their pet after an ex because they hated their ex so much?

02:47:45 - 02:47:55 | Speaker 4:

I remember after I broke up with this girl named Tracy, I doodled and looked back at the toilet. It was like, all right, he names his suit. Go ahead, Shannon.

02:47:55 - 02:47:55 | Speaker 5:

Next story, please.

02:47:56 - 02:48:01 | Speaker 1:

I knew it was going there. And lastly, if you are an Adam Levine fan, he was on Jimmy Fallon's show last night with a big announcement.

02:48:01 - 02:48:31 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? I cannot divulge all the details. Okay, understood. But the details are basically roughly, there's a song coming, a single coming at the end of the month-ish. And then, yeah, I'm really excited about it. Okay, all right, that's good. Oh, fantastic. album is coming album is coming over the summer non-specifically around the summer time and then even more non-specifically there is a tour coming in the fall

02:48:31 - 02:48:43 | Speaker 1:

it's a great way to keep mojo in the morning always there with you and then on the podcast make sure that you're favoring it make sure you're also doing the download too so you get it downloaded right to you. War of the Roses busting a cheater this morning. This is a bad one. When you get married, you think that it's the top of the love game for your relationship and only to find out that your new husband is cheating with his ex. It's a War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning. If you suspect anybody's cheating, text cheater to 95500. Catching cheaters and proud of

02:50:54 - 02:50:57 | Speaker 2:

it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

02:50:58 - 02:51:04 | Speaker 1:

Veronica, you guys literally just got married, and now you're thinking that he could be cheating on you?

02:51:05 - 02:51:06 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:51:07 - 02:51:28 | Speaker 1:

And it was, what, like almost two months ago that you guys got married? Yes. And what is it that makes you think that he could be cheating on you? Or did you, real quick, I'll answer this question before you answer that. Did you think he was cheating before you got married? Like, did you have this feeling before you actually said, I do?

02:51:31 - 02:51:43 | Speaker 3:

Well, like, we've had instances before where I had to ask him about, yeah, his ex and if he still had feelings for her. But this keeps coming up again and again.

02:51:43 - 02:51:48 | Speaker 1:

So it's an ex that you think that he still had feelings for even when you got married.

02:51:49 - 02:51:49 | Speaker 4:

But nothing's happened.

02:51:49 - 02:52:17 | Speaker 3:

yeah well he he comforted me and but basically it got resolved right but after we got married two days later i saw his phone ring up and his ex texted him um everything resurfaced again does that make sense you know what did she text him for she said i will always have love for you

02:52:17 - 02:52:33 | Speaker 1:

Okay, that's not good. No. No. That's not good. No, no. And you know that a guy just married a girl and is married to somebody. You don't say, I still will always have love for you or whatever. It's okay if they text that. It's not okay if he responds.

02:52:33 - 02:52:36 | Speaker 4:

But what did he text for her to respond with that?

02:52:36 - 02:52:41 | Speaker 3:

I didn't know. He said, I will always have love for you too.

02:52:43 - 02:53:09 | Speaker 1:

That's not good either. now if they just have this kind of communication with each other are you okay with that or does you're not okay good because I was going to say if you're okay with allowing him to still have this emotional connection to her I get he's going to have a connection with her if he has a connection is that emotional with her she needs to be blocked in the phone and he never should see her ever again

02:53:09 - 02:53:10 | Speaker 3:

I agree

02:53:10 - 02:53:25 | Speaker 1:

I mean this is lending itself to, and I don't know if they are cheating, and we're going to find out here in a little bit. We'll call up and see what's going on. But this is lending itself to something really, really bad about to happen.

02:53:28 - 02:53:30 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I don't feel too good about this.

02:53:31 - 02:53:38 | Speaker 4:

Especially since you said that there's been a history of him having to reassure you that nothing's continuing to go on between the two of them.

02:53:38 - 02:53:46 | Speaker 3:

you know yeah i just feel really shaken up about this marriage and we just got married so

02:53:46 - 02:53:58 | Speaker 1:

have you confided in any friends about this have you told any people that that know you guys they do know yeah and what do they say to you

02:53:58 - 02:54:06 | Speaker 3:

they said to be careful do they think he's cheating yeah

02:54:06 - 02:54:43 | Speaker 1:

all right well then we're going to find out what's going on I feel bad I mean we've had people that have done war of the roses right before they were going to get married and those are always tough and then we've had those that have said okay I've been married for a year or something now and now I think that they're cheating I don't know if we've ever had somebody within a couple of months of actually saying I do mute your phone don't do not say a word and let us see what we can get out of him. And let's hope that he sends the flowers to you. Yes. Okay. All right. It's War of the Roses. We're hoping that the flowers go to Veronica.

02:54:56 - 02:54:59 | Speaker 4:

Hello? I'm looking for just a please.

02:55:00 - 02:55:51 | Speaker 2:

uh yeah this is him who is this hi justin my name is nicole and i'm calling from an online floral company called roses bloom.com with an offer for some free flowers do you have a minute to answer two survey questions in exchange for a dozen long-stemmed red roses that can be sent out today anywhere in the country anybody in the country totally totally free of charge uh yeah i guess yeah okay justin have you purchased flowers in the last six months no i have not do you plan on purchasing flowers in the next six months um maybe okay that's actually all i need from you and as i thank you for participating in that survey roses bloom.com is now going to give you that dozen long-stemmed red roses so this is a quick process i just need a first and a last name of who you want these to be sent

02:55:51 - 02:56:05 | Speaker 4:

out to today uh okay um and it doesn't have to be in state like i said yeah let's send it to um

02:56:05 - 02:56:34 | Speaker 2:

ellie ellie like e-l-l-i-e uh yeah okay and the last name okay and what is ellie's telephone number okay and what is her relationship to you

02:56:34 - 02:56:42 | Speaker 4:

uh she actually can i can i send this to someone else

02:56:42 - 02:57:36 | Speaker 2:

uh yeah absolutely just need a first and a last name let's let's send it to veronica uh veronica okay and the telephone number okay okay and what is her relationship to you uh she's my wife okay and justin we offer something unique at rosesbloom.com instead of sending a paper card with the flowers we're going to send a voice memo so in this situation veronica will receive the flowers she's going to get a text alerting her she has a delivery and then she'll be able to play this voice memo to know who they're from and get a little message from you. So I'm going to go ahead and record that with you. Okay. Okay. I'm going to count you down and you just start talking. Three, two, one.

02:57:38 - 02:57:43 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Veronica. It's me. Just wanted to give you a little something. Have a great day.

02:57:45 - 02:57:50 | Speaker 2:

Okay. And Justin, I have to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality and

02:57:50 - 02:58:11 | Speaker 1:

training purposes are you okay with that yeah great justin i'm gonna jump on real quick just to wrap up the call and then we'll send those flowers off in the message okay uh okay all right i just need to ask you one last thing justin do you know who this is that is calling you up right

02:58:11 - 02:58:21 | Speaker 4:

now with this uh i thought it was just the rose the flower company so you just know it's roses

02:58:21 - 02:58:28 | Speaker 3:

bloom.com that is calling you yeah i thought right that's what they just said okay i just

02:58:28 - 02:58:39 | Speaker 1:

wanted to know that um justin i i noticed that you switched the name of the person that you wanted to to send the flowers to was there any particular reason why you switched the name of

02:58:39 - 02:58:48 | Speaker 4:

them? Uh, no, I just thought I should send them to my wife. Okay. So the person that you were

02:58:48 - 02:58:52 | Speaker 1:

going to send them to is not your wife. It was somebody that you were just going to send them

02:58:52 - 02:59:01 | Speaker 4:

to just randomly. Yeah. Uh, he's just kind of asking a lot of questions. Well, I'm asking a

02:59:01 - 02:59:47 | Speaker 1:

lot of questions, Justin, because, um, this is actually not rosesbloom.com that was calling you up this is the mojo in the morning radio show and your wife veronica is on the phone with us right now because she wanted to see where you'd send a dozen free roses and veronica is that the person that you were telling us about yes Justin Justin Veronica Veronica told us that there is a person that's in your life that you keep in contact with even though you're married to her and just got married and she was a little uneasy with that

02:59:52 - 02:59:52 | Unknown:

I

02:59:52 - 03:00:00 | Speaker 4:

I don't even know what to say I would just like to say So defensive.

03:00:00 - 03:00:24 | Speaker 6:

yeah but i wasn't the first on your mind it was ellie did you why her i just i don't know i was just sending some goodbye flowers i feel bad we're so happy and

03:00:24 - 03:00:27 | Speaker 5:

You didn't even answer that. What is it?

03:00:29 - 03:00:31 | Speaker 4:

What is your relationship to her?

03:00:33 - 03:00:34 | Speaker 6:

She's just a friend now.

03:00:35 - 03:00:38 | Speaker 3:

But why is it necessary then to send goodbye flowers?

03:00:40 - 03:00:44 | Speaker 6:

And these are roses. It's not. It's not. That's why I changed them.

03:00:45 - 03:00:48 | Speaker 3:

But you still thought about it, even just for a second.

03:00:49 - 03:00:49 | Speaker 4:

Exactly.

03:00:51 - 03:00:56 | Speaker 6:

I was going to be nice, but then I realized that that wasn't the right thing to do.

03:00:56 - 03:01:03 | Speaker 1:

Justin, did you realize it wasn't the right thing to do or did you know that it was us that was calling and that's why you realized it wasn't the right thing to do?

03:01:05 - 03:01:07 | Speaker 6:

I didn't know it was you guys calling.

03:01:08 - 03:01:22 | Speaker 1:

So you didn't know that it was Mojo in the morning and that we do a thing like this? No. Because I'll be quite honest with you, it just seemed a little sketchy how you switched so quick.

03:01:23 - 03:01:24 | Speaker 4:

Are you still texting her?

03:01:25 - 03:01:26 | Speaker 1:

No, I'm not.

03:01:29 - 03:01:33 | Speaker 6:

Why do you want to be in contact? I love you. I married you for a reason.

03:01:35 - 03:01:41 | Speaker 1:

Then why are you still in contact with her? With this girl? This Allie?

03:01:41 - 03:01:48 | Speaker 6:

I'm not. This would have been, if I would have sent it, which I didn't, it would have just been like a final goodbye.

03:01:49 - 03:02:00 | Speaker 3:

But why is that necessary? Why is that so important to you? The final goodbye was you got married. You don't owe her a final goodbye.

03:02:02 - 03:02:06 | Speaker 6:

Look, I'm sorry. And I shouldn't have potentially sent them to her, but I didn't.

03:02:08 - 03:02:35 | Speaker 1:

I think the two of you guys have a lot that you guys need to get through. And I think that you guys need to figure out some counseling. and I don't know if necessarily it's going to be the right spot for us to be doing this right now with you guys but Veronica's not easy with your relationship with this ex and I think that you need to have a reassurance with her that there's nothing going on

03:02:35 - 03:02:40 | Speaker 6:

I agree yeah no you're right

03:02:40 - 03:02:46 | Speaker 1:

I'm sorry I'm going to have you guys talk more to each other with us not being there, okay?

03:02:48 - 03:02:49 | Unknown:

Okay. Okay.

03:02:49 - 03:02:53 | Speaker 1:

Hold on one second, Veronica. We'll talk to you too, okay? Hold on.

03:02:53 - 03:03:02 | Speaker 2:

Okay. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

03:03:03 - 03:03:04 | Speaker 4:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

03:03:05 - 03:03:05 | Speaker 2:

Live.

03:03:12 - 03:03:52 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning. war of the roses busting a cheater newlywed couple literally about as newly as you can be to be wed to somebody when it's like less than a couple of months and his ex comes into play 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 obviously everybody's going to have their theories on this one i wanted to throw this out there i don't know if there's any listeners that have ever dealt with this where you get married and an ex is still involved like the the ex still is is around and uh it's kind of lingering uh what's uh what's happening it's mojo in the morning show your thoughts on this

03:03:52 - 03:04:10 | Speaker 5:

tiffany what are your thoughts um i think 100 he caught on to you guys really fast because if you go on google uh roses bloom.com it will show you guys because he was 100 confident with wanting to sent it to his ex and then all of a sudden kind of paused for a minute and then changed his mind

03:04:10 - 03:04:21 | Speaker 1:

he changed it at a point too that was interesting he changed it at a point when shannon or nicole aka nicole is asking the question of what is her relationship to you that's when he kind of changed

03:04:21 - 03:04:26 | Speaker 3:

it was almost like he didn't want to say or his conscience kicked in yeah right what if it was

03:04:26 - 03:04:36 | Speaker 1:

that yeah i mean that that could very well have been it's still problematic that his mind immediately went to her yeah uh katie it's mojo in the morning what are your thoughts

03:04:36 - 03:04:53 | Speaker 4:

hi katie oh me yeah oh hi hi yeah no did you hear him say she's just a friend now like she was asking what's the relationship to her and he goes she's just a friend and then he

03:04:53 - 03:05:00 | Speaker 2:

paused and he was like now well i mean i was his ex at a certain point yeah that doesn't that's not this is

03:05:00 - 03:05:17 | Speaker 4:

suspicious to me as some other things. I think Katie's thinking that she wasn't just a friend maybe a week ago or something, right? Exactly. Exactly. Like as soon as I was busted with those text messages, that's when she stopped seeing my friend or my girlfriend, whatever

03:05:17 - 03:05:23 | Speaker 2:

she was. Now she's just a friend. I mean, I can see that. Yeah. I, uh, where are you

03:05:23 - 03:05:28 | Speaker 4:

listening to us right now? I'm in DeWitt, Michigan. I'm just north of Lansing right

03:05:28 - 03:05:43 | Speaker 2:

by your son thank you well check on him please make sure he's not at home today will do appreciate that i like i like that we have listeners that are willing to check on my son away at college i wonder how he feels about that he doesn't need to know what's up peyton hi

03:05:43 - 03:06:00 | Speaker 3:

hi what's going on um i don't think i've ever heard a four of the roses where my jaw has been open i mean there's been a lot but i'm like are you kidding me was it the point where he said

03:06:00 - 03:06:04 | Speaker 2:

this other woman's name this ex's name and then he changed it

03:06:04 - 03:06:21 | Speaker 3:

um no it was actually before that um veronica girlfriend i mean contact with your ex two days before you know or two days after and then like a week before and like what's what's going on

03:06:21 - 03:06:48 | Speaker 2:

Can I tell you something, Peyton? I'm looking at our text screen. Some people are texting in. I hope we can get them on the phone with us, telling us that they had the same thing happen to them. A similar situation where they're, one here, this is from 248. It says, my ex-husband was still talking to his ex-girlfriend the same night that we actually got married. Like, all these people that are still doing that.

03:06:48 - 03:07:13 | Speaker 3:

Immediate red flags, but there was most likely red flags before this, and that's the problem. And I feel like, you know, a lot of women, like, blind that because they want this perfect fairy tale. And, like, unfortunately, this man is a scumbag, and that's just never going to happen. Therapy is not going to fix that. Nothing is going to fix this man. He is who he is.

03:07:13 - 03:07:30 | Speaker 2:

By the way, so many people are saying that they think that him changing his tune on who he's sending him to should actually be recognized that he still loves his wife. Veronica, back with us here right now.

03:07:30 - 03:07:30 | Speaker 3:

Hello.

03:07:31 - 03:07:32 | Speaker 2:

How you feeling?

03:07:34 - 03:07:36 | Speaker 3:

I don't feel good.

03:07:36 - 03:07:58 | Speaker 2:

I don't blame you. Veronica you gotta not just tell him that this is something that he needs to stop doing you gotta tell him that this is something that he needs to in his head just get this girl out of his you know there are certain people you can still have relationships with and be friends

03:07:58 - 03:08:00 | Speaker 3:

with or be kind to he doesn't

03:08:00 - 03:08:24 | Speaker 2:

owe her anything but to sit there and say I still love you or show the love like that I think that there's something wrong they don't have a kid together there's nothing with them as far as that's concerned no okay so there's nothing like there's an attachment that way all right all right hang on one sec okay veronica we're here for you hold on one sec we're gonna let

03:08:24 - 03:08:31 | Speaker 1:

you talk to lydia the home of the second date update this is mojo in the morning

03:08:31 - 03:09:00 | Speaker 2:

all right it is mojo in the morning oh i saw i went out uh this weekend uh and then after we went to go see a game we stopped off at a bar that is by my house uh which by the way lydia bianca you guys want to meet some of your people you should go to this place because they had some of your people hanging out there the habibis in the house habibis that's right

03:09:01 - 03:09:03 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. I love it.

03:09:03 - 03:09:08 | Speaker 2:

Do they do their tongues like that? The place that I went to is a place called West End.

03:09:09 - 03:09:11 | Speaker 4:

I hear so many people talking about that.

03:09:11 - 03:09:53 | Speaker 2:

It's fun. It's a nice place. They got good food. They got really good food, and they have great drinks and lots of great scenery. There's a lot of great-looking people. Scenery? No, it's one of those places that is, you know, you see it from the road, and you're like, oh, I wonder what that place is all about. And then you go in on, like, a Saturday night, and you realize, oh, this is kind of fun, you know? So, went inside there, and going in, for those that don't know, Lydia and Bianca are Chaldean. We've talked about this before. By now, if you haven't already heard, Chaldeans are Iraqi Catholics. They're very nice people. They're prominent here in the area. I feel like I have to explain it. Megan's not even here, but she always makes me explain it.

03:09:54 - 03:09:59 | Speaker 4:

All the girls are beautiful. Yes. All the guys are ugly as hell. I'm just joking. I'm totally kidding.

03:10:00 - 03:10:09 | Speaker 2:

But it is, there's a little bit of truth to that. All the girls are stunningly beautiful.

03:10:09 - 03:12:18 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, they're gorgeous. Yeah, beautiful, beautiful women. So going into the West End and being there is great because it's a very nice ego boost because a lot of Chaldeans love our show and they have for many, many years. and so you walk into the place and you end up either a recognizing some friends that you've known over the years like either from the years of me hanging out at Shenandoah Country Club or going to the um you know the Chaldean Chamber of Commerce you know dinner and hosting that thing and all that stuff or knowing Martin Manna Mike Sarafa and all those guys so walking into the place you end up running into some people some old faces and then being that they're listeners they also know you too. And I had something happen to me that was really, really interesting. I had a guy, a bro, insist on buying me a drink. And I wanted to ask you guys the question about etiquette of somebody wanting to buy you a drink. And this happens more so to women than it ever does to guys. But if it happens to a guy, if you don't respond in a good way, you could be insulting the person. So I not necessarily wanted to have another drink. Okay. Cause I had already drank and I was trying to sober up, but I felt like if I didn't say yes, I was offending this guy and he was a bigger dude. You know what I mean? Like he looked like he could, he can handle his stuff. And if I didn't accept it, I was going to be like insulting the guy. And I don't want to insult somebody, especially somebody that could beat my ass, you know? So I wanted to ask if I could open up a forum here right now of bar etiquette. Do we have any bartenders that are listening to the show? I feel like I need some bartenders to call in on this one. Is it rude to not accept a drink in front of someone who offers to buy it for you? Because when somebody becomes so persistent about wanting to buy you a drink, you feel like if you say no, you're basically like turning them down and insulting them. I feel like you have to have a really good

03:12:18 - 03:12:28 | Speaker 2:

reason if you would have said hey i need to get in my car i'm trying to sober up thank you so much i feel like they would have understood yeah but it's it's got to be a good reason i feel like if

03:12:28 - 03:12:38 | Speaker 4:

they super persistent why are you trying so hard to get me to drink that make my antennas go up really like i think they want i think they want to do something bro no but i think they need a

03:12:38 - 03:12:48 | Speaker 3:

drink for i think they want well they're not trying to take you home or anything i'm just I think that they're just trying to, you know, to be nice to you, you know? Here we are.

03:12:48 - 03:12:49 | Speaker 4:

What is that song?

03:12:49 - 03:12:51 | Speaker 3:

We're all hanging out at West End together.

03:12:51 - 03:12:52 | Speaker 4:

What's that clapping song?

03:12:52 - 03:12:53 | Speaker 3:

Huh?

03:12:53 - 03:12:54 | Speaker 4:

With some cheeks clapping. Okay.

03:12:55 - 03:13:01 | Speaker 2:

What about this question? Somebody offers you a drink, how specific can you get with your order?

03:13:02 - 03:13:04 | Speaker 4:

I'm grabbing what I want.

03:13:04 - 03:13:16 | Speaker 3:

What if your drink's an expensive drink? Like what? Like I ordered an Old Fashioned, and Old Fashioned at West End ain't cheap. Especially because they don't have cheap, you know, booze there. They don't have cheap bourbon there.

03:13:16 - 03:13:34 | Speaker 2:

So that is why I asked that question. You guys know I'm a wine lover. But there are certain kinds of wine I really like and certain kinds that I absolutely hate. And they taste like super crappy. But I'm not going to sit there in name of a specific kind. Like that sounds so snotty. But I also don't want to waste something if I get it and don't like it. Right?

03:13:34 - 03:13:40 | Speaker 3:

Like what will they say if you say that you want, what's an expensive wine?

03:13:40 - 03:13:47 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I would never do this, by the way, if somebody offered to buy me a drink. I would not say this, but, like, if you are drinking red wine and you're drinking Caymus.

03:13:48 - 03:13:49 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's expensive stuff, huh?

03:13:49 - 03:13:55 | Speaker 2:

You're not going to say, can I have a glass of Caymus? I would never, in my right mind, expect that of somebody.

03:13:55 - 03:13:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, sure, I'll take a drink. Can I have bottle service?

03:13:58 - 03:14:04 | Speaker 2:

But I also am not going to say, oh, yeah, I'll just have a cab because they're going to give me the, you know.

03:14:05 - 03:14:08 | Speaker 3:

I'm not cabby. The bottom shows. What's up, Michelle? Hi.

03:14:08 - 03:14:29 | Speaker 1:

Good morning, Mojo. Thank you for being responsible as your local friendly bartender. We don't want people to drink excessively and then drive. Oh, okay. Yeah. Oh, like totally fine. I've seen lots of people deny drinks because they, like you, are trying to sober up and get ready to drive home.

03:14:29 - 03:14:39 | Speaker 3:

Let me ask you, have you ever witnessed anybody be upset that somebody wouldn't accept a drink? Like, if a guy tries to send a girl a drink and she denies it, does the guy get, you know, a little butthurt about that?

03:14:40 - 03:14:44 | Speaker 1:

Sometimes. I guess it depends on how much they have had to drink already. Yeah.

03:14:44 - 03:14:44 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

03:14:44 - 03:14:57 | Speaker 2:

I can also see in this situation for you, especially, Mojo, if it's somebody that you see from time to time or is part of, you know, the Keldean community, that you would get crap for this every time you saw that person after this if you said no.

03:14:57 - 03:15:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Well, that's the thing. You know what I mean? And I don't. want to be you know i don't know if you know this but i kind of have a little bit of an iconic stature and i and i want to like i want the guy and then the other thing too is most of these chaldean guys are way more manly than i am like being out with a group of chaldean guys is like being out with a group of like black guys and i look at it like if i don't order the right drink like you can't get a skinny spicy margarita i can't do it you know what i mean like i need hennessey or something that's what you want and i'm and honestly i'm not a hennessey drinker but i feel like i have to join the crowd a little bit art what's up art hey oh my god i don't even know

03:15:37 - 03:16:30 | Speaker 4:

why i'm calling now why what's up so oh my god man so look i hit 21 nobody knows it's my birthday or nothing when we hit the bar i got my big brother and some other friends blah blah blah well on the second level it's like a gang of dudes like and i'm talking like they look like normal dudes you know what I mean like they're just whatever and one dude like big guy goes hey I want to buy you a drink and I'm like all right okay I'm like yeah all right bet and then next thing you know man the second drink came and I'm like hold on pause second what's going on here like hold up no just wondering cool that too like hold on a second this is my first time on fire bro you're doing too much yeah and my big brother they didn't see He come here with my big brother. My big brother went over there. He started talking to him. Come to find out. Oh, my God. Yeah. Yeah. Wait, wait, wait.

03:16:30 - 03:16:37 | Speaker 3:

The guy was trying to pick you up? Is that what he was trying to do? Yeah, yeah. I love it. See, I actually like that.

03:16:38 - 03:16:39 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

03:16:39 - 03:16:44 | Speaker 3:

I'm fine with that stuff. That's great. Big day for gay stuff tonight.

03:16:44 - 03:16:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but they had a whole gang. I don't know what kind of gang they were. Like, I'm sitting there like, I don't want to join in no gangs, bro. I'm neutral. Let me stay in the middle.

03:16:51 - 03:16:59 | Speaker 3:

I like wiener. Oh, that's funny. That is great. Jeannie, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

03:17:01 - 03:17:02 | Speaker 5:

It's Jenny.

03:17:02 - 03:17:06 | Speaker 3:

Jenny. I apologize. What's up, Jenny? Hi.

03:17:07 - 03:17:08 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Mojo.

03:17:09 - 03:17:10 | Speaker 3:

Hey. What's going on?

03:17:10 - 03:17:30 | Speaker 5:

In our Chaldean community, they're so generous. Yes. And yes, it's very, very typical for a guy to buy you a drink and be very persistent. So it is kind of insulting to them, but you just got to go with the flow when you're with the Chaldeans. You've been in our community a million thousand years.

03:17:30 - 03:17:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I accept it. I accepted it. I took it. I nursed it for a while. I cheersed. I did everything. It was very, they are very generous, man. I'm not lying to you. I've never seen more generous people than the Chaldean community. They're really, really nice people.

03:17:46 - 03:17:48 | Speaker 5:

Mojo, you know how far back I go with you? Please.

03:17:49 - 03:17:50 | Speaker 3:

Is it going to get me in trouble with my wife?

03:17:50 - 03:17:58 | Speaker 5:

I fixed your, listen, it's a good thing. I fixed your antenna on an old, old phone back in the day you came with me.

03:17:58 - 03:18:03 | Speaker 3:

When there was antennas. You remember that, Mojo? By the way, why are those toys? Which one?

03:18:03 - 03:18:05 | Speaker 5:

I'm so high in Orchard Lake. Okay. Wow.

03:18:05 - 03:18:08 | Speaker 3:

That's amazing, by the way. That is awesome.

03:18:08 - 03:18:11 | Speaker 5:

I didn't even charge you. See? You know what? It's a Canadian thing.

03:18:11 - 03:18:15 | Speaker 3:

What are you doing nowadays, Mary? Or Jeannie? Jeannie?

03:18:16 - 03:18:17 | Speaker 5:

Jenny! Jenny?

03:18:18 - 03:18:27 | Speaker 3:

Son of a bitch. Why is it that I didn't, by the way, your real name is not Jenny, I guarantee you, because no Calvians are Jenny. No, it's not. What is it?

03:18:28 - 03:18:31 | Speaker 5:

I'm not saying, a lot of people know me.

03:18:31 - 03:18:42 | Speaker 3:

I'm telling you, but even your family probably calls you Jenny, and the real names are never Jenny. No, they don't. Yeah, it's all of a sudden you got this name, I'm like, who's that person? It's like, that's me, but that's my real name.

03:18:42 - 03:18:45 | Speaker 1:

Literally 30 minutes to come up with an American name. Oh, really? That's how I know she is.

03:18:45 - 03:18:47 | Speaker 3:

What do you guess her name is? Batha.

03:18:48 - 03:18:49 | Speaker 1:

I know what her name is.

03:18:49 - 03:18:58 | Speaker 3:

Batha. They always have, like, a name where, like, how do you spell that? And they don't have license plates up at Mackinac Island for you. What's going on, Mary? Hi.

03:18:59 - 03:19:00 | Speaker 2:

Does that mean? Hi.

03:19:00 - 03:19:01 | Speaker 3:

Hi, what's going on?

03:19:01 - 03:19:06 | Speaker 2:

You know, in the souvenir shops, they don't have any other name besides the very common.

03:19:06 - 03:19:07 | Speaker 3:

Oh, God. What's up, Mary?

03:19:08 - 03:19:17 | Speaker 2:

They don't have duck. I just wanted to join in on the conversation. I'm Chaldean, so, like, hearing you guys talk about us on the radio is kind of funny.

03:19:17 - 03:19:26 | Speaker 3:

We love you. Do you know we have two on this radio show? We have two working for us. Lydia and Bianca. Yeah. They're cousins.

03:19:26 - 03:19:28 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. I never knew that.

03:19:28 - 03:19:32 | Speaker 3:

Yes. So is that why you just called just to say it's funny that we're talking about you?

03:19:35 - 03:19:44 | Speaker 2:

No, I texted you guys when you were talking about how, like, the men are more manly than you are and, like, all that stuff.

03:19:45 - 03:19:48 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. They have more testosterone in one hand than I do.

03:19:48 - 03:19:59 | Speaker 2:

I, I've like dated and talked to like a bunch of Chaldean guys and they're not as manly as you think. They, they just put a face on for the public. I'm not even going to lie to you.

03:20:00 - 03:20:03 | Speaker 5:

Now I like it. Now this makes me feel good. Really?

03:20:04 - 03:20:12 | Speaker 3:

No, feel better about yourself, trust me. Especially when they're out with, like, a group of guys or whatever. They all just, like, act tough.

03:20:12 - 03:20:17 | Speaker 5:

Is there any truth if they're wearing, are any of them wearing makeup? If they're wearing makeup, I want to know.

03:20:18 - 03:20:27 | Speaker 3:

I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I mean, maybe around the eyebrows. Because some guys, I mean, their eyebrows are just done way too good. Even better than mine.

03:20:27 - 03:20:39 | Speaker 5:

Okay. All right. Now that makes me feel good. I don't feel so bad knowing that I may be somewhat manly compared to a Chaldean man. Well, thank you for the call. I appreciate it.

03:20:41 - 03:20:42 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, thank you for calling.

03:20:43 - 03:21:27 | Speaker 5:

Appreciate you. And by the way, thank you to the nice people that were out at West End that I met on Saturday. And also thank you to the group of guys that bought me a drink. It was really nice of those guys. I want to go to West End, man. Let's go. We'll go some night. It's fun. Let's do that. All right, that does it for today. We're out of here. Have a great day.
