Find the fob is happening this morning on the Mojo in the morning show all right mojo in the morning so megan this morning woke up to what what looked like a police incident and and somebody trying to

00:05:00 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 5:

a car or steal a car not a car multiple cars this morning i woke up to so many car alarms going it was like and then like 30 seconds later you would hear like like all of the cars on my street were just getting broken into it was so just kind of like annoying to hear loud and annoying did you

00:05:20 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 2:

actually pay attention because most people don't ever pay attention when they hear a car alarm

00:05:23 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 5:

well no i was like up and moving around like i was in the shower when i heard it so i like got out of the shower and then i checked my ring camera and the worst part for me is now i know that somebody's out there breaking into cars and i have to go out to my car in a minute first of all is it going to be broken into or am i going to run into because either way this is not a good start for my day so i had to call the cops i was like i don't want to be out there with this guy who's like breaking out into all these cars and so i called the cops unfortunately and i god i hate doing that but like what else was i going to do and they were like oh we'll send a like a cruiser out we'll send somebody over there to go check it out i hate when they call it that by the way i'm like well you're not on the dream cruise like go to go go investigate i don't know like go on a mission i would i would be way better with the term mission than send a cruiser out so they were like we'll send somebody with like zero motivation to actually do anything and i was like i just want somebody out here so i'm not alone walking to my car nobody came but i was like whatever so i had to stop and get gas and obviously red bulls this morning so i stopped at a gas station and there were two cop cars and this is pretty close to my neighborhood and i walk over there and i was like hey do you have an update on like what's going on whatever i did not realize they had the guy in handcuffs they were actually doing his arrest wow okay like doing his like handcuffs trying to get him into the car and i was like hey guys anybody hear about all of the car breakers they were like oh could you not bother us we're in the middle of an investigation and i was like this has been a weird start to my day i was just trying to be helpful i know the guy across from me um like has a he's like a not a mechanic what they he goes into people's houses and work on their furnaces hvac man hvac thing thank you and i was like his truck gets broken into literally all of the time i know yeah i know that's what they were going in for and then they were just hitting up all of the other cars on the street.

00:07:20 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 4:

But how crazy that you actually, it came full circle and you saw him in the car.

00:07:24 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 6:

But also, why are you yelling at me? I didn't see it. I didn't know what was going on. I'm just trying to find out what's happening. I feel like I just got yelled at this morning. I didn't have enough caffeine in my system and I was over it. Over it.

00:07:36 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 3:

My dog did a bunch of smashing grabs and went to the gas station. He gave a lotto ticket. To get a red bull.

00:07:42 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 6:

You know he wanted a snack. He was like, crime makes me hungry.

00:07:45 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 2:

I was on Facebook this weekend and saw a person I follow on Facebook who doesn't live that far from where I live talking about how her car got stolen.

00:07:58 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 4:

It's happening in my neighborhood, and they finally just caught the guy. Is it someone that lives in my neighborhood?

00:08:02 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 2:

Well, no, it's in West Bloomfield. Okay. Bluefield, or as the Chaldeans call it, West of Bloomfield.

00:08:07 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. My neighborhood has had a major issue lately, lately and there was one night last week where like a group of people went through on a tear and not only like broke into vehicles and stole stuff but also four vehicles were stolen and they just caught the guy i saw them post his mug shot that's crazy i mean it's nutty it's never fun

00:08:27 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 2:

when you get your car stolen they they say that the thing that this guy was doing or this ring was doing was they had two cars that would drive so one with a person in it as lookout one then with the person that's going to go and steal the car, and they would go look at neighborhoods, look for cars that were easily able to be stolen, and then they would steal the car, go, and then I guess they take it. This particular car they found, I think, like in Southfield or in the city limits of Detroit.

00:09:02 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 5:

So they're not even taking it far.

00:09:04 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 2:

Well, what they're doing is they're taking it, and I think that what they're doing is they're trying to see if there's any valuables in the car first, so that's an easy grab. And then I think that they're maybe trying to sell parts or something. I don't know.

00:09:15 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 5:

Actually, by the time my car has been broken into, it's been unlocked. That's the thing that pisses me off.

00:09:19 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 2:

That's actually not bad, though. You want that. I hate to say it because they'll get in and they'll cause more damage.

00:09:25 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 5:

They smashed the window. The door was unlocked. They opened the door.

00:09:29 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 2:

In San Francisco, the whole thing that they were telling people, if you park your car on the streets there, they said, leave your windows down so that people couldn't smash your windows. Derek, what's up?

00:10:00 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 1:

And you're like, I'm sure, I'm sure. And then my mom goes to open the door. I'm like, what are you doing? She's like, it's your dad. He went Black Friday shopping. Oh, no. He's about to shoot your dad. This guy's got his gun going. Oh, my God. Wow, that's not good. I can't believe how many people leave valuable stuff in their car. Why would you leave your computer in your car?

00:10:22 - 00:10:25 | Speaker 3:

Maybe it's an accident, but I don't get the people who do it intentionally.

00:10:25 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 1:

Well, there's a lot of times where people will, you know, leave their car parked outside. First off, if you live, like this person that I saw that their car was stolen, they live in a house I think that has a garage. I'm like, why are you not putting that thing in a garage?

00:10:39 - 00:10:41 | Speaker 4:

Because our garages are filled with everything else we own.

00:10:41 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 1:

It's all those kids' bicycles?

00:10:43 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 4:

It is. It's bicycles and scooters. I don't know, like, anybody who uses a garage.

00:10:48 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 1:

Well, I keep mine in my garage. I actually, Chelsea thinks it's funny that I actually pull my car in the garage during the day and lock or close that thing right away. Just because a lot of stuff is happening at night. There was another person I saw on Facebook that was saying that at 7 o'clock at night, there was robberies to a bunch of homes that were in, Shannon, not that far from your neighborhood.

00:11:09 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 3:

7 o'clock? 7 o'clock at night. People are home.

00:11:11 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 1:

I know. Well, they're saying that what's going on is that it's nicer weather. and a lot of times people will go on family walks and people don't lock their doors when they leave.

00:11:20 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 3:

That's crazy.

00:11:21 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 1:

And then they just go right in. Or you've heard this before where somebody will come to the front door, you'll answer the front door, you get your slider open in the back, they'll walk right through the back, they'll sit there and try to pretend like, hey, we're doing tree trimming service in your neighborhood.

00:11:36 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 4:

That scares me so bad.

00:11:37 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 1:

And the person's ransacking your house, going through your bedroom and stealing your valuables and stuff.

00:11:44 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 3:

We're not Canada. Lock your doors.

00:11:47 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 1:

I wouldn't do it in Canada.

00:11:48 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 3:

Everybody does it in Canada.

00:11:50 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 1:

They're crazy. I wouldn't do it anywhere. Yeah. Kev is, you know, if they want it, they're going to get it, right? These criminals, I think. I don't know.

00:11:59 - 00:12:05 | Speaker 2:

Yes, bro. I mean, I've had my car stolen before. I've seen people. I've had my car stolen a couple times. Were you happy, though?

00:12:05 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 1:

Like, were you up for a new lease, maybe?

00:12:07 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 2:

No, it was never a happy time. No? No, I think one of them, I forgot to pay my car insurance, too.

00:12:13 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 1:

Oh, really? Yeah.

00:12:14 - 00:12:36 | Speaker 2:

But shout out to Bill Brown. Bill Brown Ford. I met his daughter one time. You actually met Bill Brown? I met his daughter. Oh, no, okay. His daughter was coming out, and I wanted to get an oil change. It was taking too long, so I got her number. She was like, hook him up with a car wash. I ain't had a bread to get my car fixed at the time, but she let him keep it for like an extended amount of time.

00:12:37 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 1:

That's a good person to date, the daughter of a car dealer.

00:12:40 - 00:12:42 | Speaker 2:

I thought about sending her flowers, but never did it.

00:12:42 - 00:12:52 | Speaker 3:

The one that made me cry was when somebody cut my soft top. I started taping on all of the windows, like, doors are unlocked. Because it's like $3,000 to replace a soft top.

00:12:53 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 1:

I got to tell you that the thing that I'm hearing more and more, too, is that a lot of the cars that are coming back, the car, you know, insurances are not covering a lot of the damage that is done. And so a lot of times people are like, you know what, I just don't even want it back. Just don't give it back to me, because if you give it back to me, then I've got to get it fixed, and it's not covering the whole thing.

00:13:17 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 4:

When my car is packed with stuff that I either need to return or donate or whatever, or the kids just left a mess, I'm always like, you can go for it.

00:13:24 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 1:

I'd like to, if there's, excuse me, if you're listening right now, car thieves, if you're out there, can you steal the Channel 955 Detroit vehicles? No. The 2001 Chevy Tahoe with 800,000 miles on it, and it's got dings all over it from the tent and things that we used to set up around the station here.

00:13:50 - 00:13:54 | Speaker 2:

Low-key, I blame the automakers. Why is it so easy to steal a car?

00:13:55 - 00:14:00 | Speaker 1:

Well, remember the Kia's. It was Kia and Hyundai's were having issues because they said that it was, like, the easiest thing.

00:14:00 - 00:14:07 | Speaker 2:

They got harder, bro. Make it harder. It shouldn't be that easy to smash my window, break the gear shift, and you're off.

00:14:07 - 00:14:37 | Speaker 3:

You ever get, okay, so I had the crappiest car get broken into so bad that it totaled the car by breaking the window. Like, it was so old, and they had to ship the glass from Japan that it cost more than the value of the car. Like, you ever get a car like that, my hoopty was broken into, and you're like, why not? Why wouldn't you go to a new car with nice things in it? What made you think this 1991 Toyota Camry was going to be your goldmine? Like, what were you thinking?

00:14:38 - 00:14:45 | Speaker 1:

Do you think when one of the thieves steals a Kia, he's singing the, I'm going to steal a Kia from Summit Place Kia?

00:14:45 - 00:14:46 | Speaker 4:

You have to.

00:14:46 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. You got to get the song going there.

00:14:48 - 00:14:49 | Speaker 4:

It's silly in your head.

00:14:49 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 1:

00:18:32 - 00:18:51 | Speaker 3:

nfl but not the draft because well you just kind of talked about it but the detroit lions going to take on the la chargers in the 2025 pro football hall of fame game this is a big deal yes the first preseason game on the football calendar will be held 8 p.m july 31st at the hall of fame stadium

00:18:51 - 00:18:55 | Speaker 5:

right there in canton ohio it's gonna be an interesting one that they get to be the featured

00:18:55 - 00:19:01 | Speaker 3:

team on there jared goff gonna be doing a bunch of the tribute stuff jared goff will probably not

00:19:01 - 00:19:40 | Speaker 5:

even play it's uh pre-season it's like they never play anybody in any of these pre-season games i don't even know why they do pre-season they should just guys that they're going to kick off the roster right well i think they should just honestly just let those guys play in the usfl for like the first few weeks and then just start the season and just go from there although a lot of people questioned if they're kind of downplaying the pre-season like they've done the last year or so made it more injury-prone for a lot of these players that came out last year. There was a lot of big-time names that got hurt in the beginning of the season. A lot of people want to do away with the preseason. Just get straight to it. Yeah, I don't know.

00:19:40 - 00:19:52 | Speaker 1:

I think it's fun. I think it's fun to watch guys play their hardest to get on the roster. It's not the best football. I'll give you that. It's not the best of the best, but it is fun to watch guys give it their all to try to make the team.

00:19:52 - 00:20:00 | Speaker 5:

Well, it's also the only chance you get a ticket to go to a game by friends who own season tickets. Hashtag George over at...

00:20:00 - 00:20:00 | Speaker 3:

That's six a lot.

00:20:01 - 00:20:10 | Speaker 1:

We love you, George. Hi, George. Jojo Siwa says she learned something about her sexuality while she was competing on Celebrity Big Brother UK.

00:20:11 - 00:20:26 | Speaker 4:

So good. I've met a lot of females, love them, don't feel like I'm them. Met a lot of males, love them, definitely not them. Met a lot of people in my life that are non-binary. And these beautiful non-binary people are who I feel the most like. And it's, I don't know, it's not something that I want to say about myself yet.

00:20:27 - 00:20:39 | Speaker 1:

The former Dance Moms star, she said she would not necessarily classify herself as lesbian anymore. She more so identifies as queer. She'd rather use that word.

00:20:39 - 00:20:42 | Speaker 3:

Okay. I love it. Go JoJo.

00:20:42 - 00:20:59 | Speaker 1:

She's 21 years old, by the way, now. So if you watch her on Dance Moms, I mean, she's grown up. And she's always been very, very open about her sexuality. but she says this latest experience competing on Big Brother was what helped her understand herself and her sexuality even more deeply.

00:20:59 - 00:21:00 | Speaker 3:

What is the difference?

00:21:01 - 00:21:23 | Speaker 5:

So because she does not know if she is non-binary or not, if she was non-binary, she wouldn't be a lesbian because she wouldn't be a woman seeking a woman. She would be non-binary seeking a partner. So queer is more of an umbrella term. General, excuse me. Yeah, than just being a woman seeking a woman. It's more I'm open to different kinds of relationships, and I'm not sure how I identify.

00:21:24 - 00:21:37 | Speaker 2:

All right. I don't really watch Duke Brother like that, but I saw a bunch of stuff kind of online about Mickey Rourke and, like, crazy comments that he made. Dude, he's awful. I want to know how much that impacted this kind of realization that she had.

00:21:37 - 00:21:57 | Speaker 5:

I cannot believe he didn't get kicked off of the show earlier. The things that Mickey Rourke was saying was so inappropriate and so uncomfortable. But I will say JoJo had a terrible reputation going into Celebrity Big Brother UK. And she definitely turned that around on the show. What? Are you okay? That's her dance move.

00:21:57 - 00:21:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I thought something was wrong with you.

00:21:59 - 00:22:02 | Speaker 2:

She do that little move. She does do that a lot. That's what she looks like.

00:22:02 - 00:22:42 | Speaker 1:

Actress Sydney Sweeney and Jonathan Devino called off their engagement earlier this year. But they've still been in touch and hanging out. What is the deal there? Pretty simple explanation. If you saw them hanging out all weekend in Florida with their dog and you were scratching your head. like what's happening they have a long history they have deeply connected lives so it just hasn't been easy to fully cut ties but it is strictly platonic the wedding is still off and no sydney is not dating glenn powell as i'm told but i still don't believe it and speaking of glenn martha stewart recently hosted him on her podcast and she was just thirsting over him my decision Oh, no, I need Martha.

00:22:42 - 00:22:47 | Speaker 3:

Martha, Martha, where's Martha? Hold on. That sounded like, who is that? That was Michelle Obama.

00:22:47 - 00:22:48 | Speaker 1:

Which we'll get to next hour.

00:22:48 - 00:22:54 | Speaker 3:

Michelle Obama, Martha. I don't have a Martha in here. Let me look here real quick. Hold on. I'm going to go into the system. It wasn't on the log.

00:22:55 - 00:23:01 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's okay. Basically, she's just saying, I saw you in this movie and I watched you in this. Here we go.

00:23:01 - 00:23:05 | Speaker 3:

Don't, don't. Spoiler alert. I was trying to help you. Spoiler alert. I'm going to find it here. I'm going to look out.

00:23:05 - 00:23:06 | Speaker 1:

It's right there.

00:23:07 - 00:23:09 | Speaker 3:

You did it? Thank you, Zach. I appreciate that.

00:23:09 - 00:23:17 | Speaker 4:

I'd already seen you on television and Hitman. Oh, yeah. Oh, I love that one. Yeah, that was a fun one. And you were so good in that.

00:23:17 - 00:23:17 | Speaker 3:

Oh, thank you.

00:23:17 - 00:23:21 | Speaker 4:

And I did watch you in your Sidney Sweeney rom-com.

00:23:22 - 00:23:22 | Speaker 3:

Thank you.

00:23:22 - 00:23:33 | Speaker 1:

And you're a handsome actor. She later told People Magazine he's very handsome in a natural way. He has a very nice body. Plus, he was wearing a European polo shirt, and he looked really good in it.

00:23:33 - 00:23:35 | Speaker 3:

Her voice is as deep as your voice is right now.

00:23:36 - 00:23:38 | Speaker 1:

I feel like I sound better today than I sounded yesterday.

00:23:38 - 00:23:40 | Speaker 2:

You do, you do. Let's dig.

00:23:40 - 00:23:41 | Speaker 1:

I'm the up and up.

00:23:41 - 00:23:45 | Speaker 3:

I was like, is that Marley Martha in that clip? What is going on? Hey, the double standard is clear.

00:23:46 - 00:23:47 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I did not like that. That was uncomfy.

00:23:47 - 00:23:57 | Speaker 2:

Imagine a man saying that to Sydney Sweeney. I liked you in that movie. Your body was nice. But we're fine with that as guys. Because she's a woman, though. We don't get up.

00:23:57 - 00:24:02 | Speaker 3:

I just want to point it out. But we're not going to get uptight over something like that. It's playful interviewing.

00:24:02 - 00:24:11 | Speaker 2:

Hey, look, I just want to point it out. It makes it fine. I'm not disagreeing with you. I understand. If you want to make it a point, because if the shoe was on the other foot, it'd be a different conversation.

00:24:11 - 00:24:26 | Speaker 3:

But the problem, though, is by bringing that up and making it that way, then it makes the playfulness of a male interviewer going, you're so beautiful, oh my God, I think you're awesome, it's great. Why make it dirty, the guys just having fun with them?

00:24:26 - 00:24:33 | Speaker 1:

It's also her age. I'm not making it dirty. I feel like when you're an older man or woman, we tend to all go, oh, she's 83.

00:24:34 - 00:24:38 | Speaker 2:

I'm not taking a playfulness away from her. I'm just saying how it would be if it was another friend.

00:24:38 - 00:24:55 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I just feel like people just need to, like, not look into things a little bit too much and just kind of, like, let it just be. Let it be. Martha Stewart, she deserves love, too, you know? Who says she don't? With younger guys. Well, why don't you sign up? I'm right there. I might not be young enough for her, though.

00:24:55 - 00:27:54 | Speaker 1:

For all of today's Dirty Catch-Up, by checking out the podcast, search Mojo in the Morning in the... Do you think Snoop's ever fooled around with Martha? Oh, most definitely. Come on, no. I think so, too. She decorated that interior. Danielle, what's going on? Are you there? Yeah, hi. Danielle, you are a winner. Congratulations. Thank you so much. Congrats, congrats. We're getting you qualified right now for a brand new car. How about a brand new Chevy? Could be anything on the lot. Are you so excited? You know, it's funny. As I was asking the question, I was trying to find out exactly what kind of car we're giving away. And I'm trying to, like, figure this thing out by process of elimination. And nobody will give me any intel on this. I have tried. You should know. You're like the spokesperson for Moran. Nope. They will. Nobody will tell me. That's craziness. I'd look at your contract. I think you have it in your contract that you should be getting intel on that. Brian, if you're listening, Brian Moran, you need to call us up and give us a little hints so that we can help Danielle out to try to win a car. Hold on one second and we'll get your information, okay? Okay. I love it. We've got a lot of great qualifiers coming up this morning, too, and hopefully one's you in about 45 minutes. Tap that app. Tap, tap, tap, man. Mojo in the Morning on iHeartRadio. Tap that app now. It's Mojo in the Morning's 5 at 6.55. 5 at 6.55. Yo, 5 at 6.55. Go now. All right, time now for the 5 at 6.55. This contest where we test your pop culture knowledge. We got some exciting stuff, by the way, coming up. Lydia was telling me that not next week, but the week after, we're going to be doing high school week again. And the 5 at 6.55. Exciting. As we get ready for school to kind of end and everybody to graduate in the class of 2025, would you like to represent your school? Details starting Monday on how you can get in and be a contestant on the 5 at 6.55 before you go to school. Desiree, what's going on? Desiree, what are you doing this morning? I take my kids down to the bus every morning. Now I got a flat tire, but that's okay. Oh, no. Oh, that is no way to start your day. So is it a distance to go to the bus stop, and that's why you get them in the car and drive them down there? Well, it's at the end of our driveway, but we lived in the country, and it's about a third of a mile. Oh, man, that's wild. That is a long little walk there for those guys, huh? Yeah, I let them walk home after school, but I don't trust them to get there in time in the morning. You think I lived in, like, what, Little House on the Prairie Day or something like that? Yeah, you had black and white TVs. I lived where a bus stop was right in front of my house.

00:27:54 - 00:30:00 | Speaker 1:

You think my lazy ass was going any further than right out in front of my house? I heard you carried your books with a stick and a bandana wrapped around the end. I did. I heard it was uphill both ways. But I do remember, it's so funny, I remember sitting in my front door on cold or rainy days, and all the kids would be at the bus stop getting wet and cold, and I would never let them in my house. I was like, oh, here comes the bus. I'm nice and dry. All right, our challenger this morning is Alyssa from Rochester Hills. Alyssa, what's happening? How are you? I'm good. How are you? We're fantastic. Say hello, Desiree, to Alyssa. Hello. Hi. We're going to lock you up in a soundproof area, Desiree. Lydia, see if we can help her with Bell Tire. Our good friends over at Bell Tire might be able to help her with something. Five pop culture trivia questions. Whoever gets the most right wins. This tie always goes to the champion, Alyssa. 00:30:00 - 00:30:16 | Speaker 2:

83-year-old celebrity, author, entrepreneur, chef, and lifestyle expert was thirsty over Glenn Powell on her podcast this week. Who is she? Oh, jeez. We just talked about this in the dirty.

00:30:18 - 00:30:18 | Unknown:

Why?

00:30:19 - 00:30:51 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. Oh, this is a tough one, Alyssa. You know what, though? That's okay because Desiree's had a tough morning. We don't want to make it difficult for her. We'll bring her back from the soundproof area. Alyssa, you only got two rights. No, I got to play one of these drops. She got the flat tire. Hold on a second. Why are the pretty ones always so dumb? Desiree, you just got to beat two today. That's all, okay? We're making it easy for you, so at least something good is going to happen. All right, question number one. The NFL draft kicks off tonight in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Where did last year's draft take place?

00:30:52 - 00:30:55 | Speaker 3:

In Detroit. There we go. One to nothing.

00:30:56 - 00:31:08 | Speaker 2:

Question number two. JoJo Siwa revealed while competing on Celebrity Big Brother UK that she is actually not gay, she's queer. What reality show made her famous?

00:31:09 - 00:31:10 | Speaker 3:

Dance Bom.

00:31:10 - 00:31:11 | Speaker 2:

Dance Bom.

00:31:11 - 00:31:12 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:31:13 - 00:31:55 | Speaker 2:

You're going to roll the gamut on this one here. You're going to win this thing with a perfect score. I can guarantee it. Question number three. Today is Kelly Clarkson's birthday. True or false, she was the first winner on the debut season of The Voice. False. False. She was actually on Idol. Three to two. How is she doing, by the way, lately? I know we've been worried about her. There was some kind of stuff going on with her. She's trying to step away from her show and a few other things. A couple more here. Question number four. Post Malone, Zach Ryan, and this last night singer are all nominated for Artist of the Year at this year's American Music Awards. What's his name?

00:31:55 - 00:31:59 | Speaker 3:

Morgan Wallen. Yes! 4-2.

00:32:00 - 00:32:14 | Speaker 2:

And a perfect score when you get this one right. This 83-year-old celebrity author, entrepreneur, chef, and lifestyle expert was thirsty over Glenn Powell on her podcast this week. Who is she?

00:32:16 - 00:32:20 | Speaker 3:

Well, it could be probably anyone with Glenn Powell, but it's Martha Stewart. Yes, it is.

00:32:20 - 00:32:30 | Speaker 2:

You're going to buy me, too. Thanks, Jim. Congratulations. All right, so if you need help, do you have Bell Tires close to you?

00:32:32 - 00:32:32 | Speaker 3:

I do.

00:32:33 - 00:32:38 | Speaker 2:

All right, if you need help, I'll call my friends at Bell Tire, but you tell me what's going on, okay? I hope you're okay.

00:32:40 - 00:32:45 | Speaker 3:

I'm good. I'll put some air in it and hopefully it's cold for the day.

00:32:46 - 00:33:11 | Speaker 2:

I hate that. I hate a mom trying to be good with her kids. Next time, make them walk. Tell them you get your ass out there, kids, okay? The weather's not bad right now. Make them run. There you go. All right. Well, we'll see you tomorrow. Alyssa, we're going to set you up with a prize, okay? All right. All right. We've got to give a nice big shout-out to our friends over at Urban Air Adventure Park. You're going to get some platinum passes. 00:33:11 - 00:33:17 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the mornings. Five at 6.55. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids.

00:33:18 - 00:33:44 | Speaker 2:

If you ever are worried that somebody is cheating on you, you think that maybe your significant other is messing around, text cheater to 95500 so that we can get you on the War of the Roses.

00:33:45 - 00:33:51 | Speaker 1:

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

00:33:51 - 00:33:59 | Speaker 2:

Frank, who is it that you think your wife is cheating with? Frank? Hey, Frank?

00:34:01 - 00:34:02 | Speaker 3:

Oh, sorry. I had you on mute. Hey.

00:34:03 - 00:34:06 | Speaker 2:

No, no problem. Who is it that you think that your wife is cheating with?

00:34:06 - 00:34:10 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I'm not sure, to be honest with you. I'm assuming somebody at work.

00:34:10 - 00:34:14 | Speaker 2:

And why is that? Why are you worried about this?

00:34:15 - 00:34:33 | Speaker 3:

So I found a diary in her drawer, and there's entries from, like, just last month. and she's talking about these feelings about, you know, some feelings she's having for some guy and something about, like, she's trying to keep her professional. She's definitely not talking about me.

00:34:33 - 00:34:41 | Speaker 2:

So you read her diary, her personal diary that she had. Does she have any clue that you did this?

00:34:43 - 00:34:46 | Speaker 3:

No. As far as I know, I'm pretty sure she has no idea.

00:34:46 - 00:34:51 | Speaker 2:

Have you asked her about any of her co-workers before you decided to call us and try to do War of the Roses?

00:34:53 - 00:35:00 | Speaker 3:

No, I didn't want to confront her about it. I'm too scared, to be honest with you. I almost might not want to know.

00:35:00 - 00:35:16 | Speaker 1:

the truth i don't know from everything that you have read or everything that she has written has it does it seem like she has acted upon any of these things or is it a guy at work like you presume that she just has a crush on i didn't read anything that would

00:35:16 - 00:35:22 | Speaker 6:

lead me to believe that they've you know done anything but she definitely at the very least

00:35:22 - 00:35:34 | Speaker 2:

has feelings for a guy that's not me when you say you're scared to confront her how is your marriage or do you guys communicate at all have you ever had a problem or is this the first thing

00:35:34 - 00:35:46 | Speaker 5:

that's come up in your marriage we're in the middle of a rough patch i'm gonna be honest with you we're uh we're not doing too hot right now we're uh gonna do a three-way call war of the

00:35:46 - 00:35:55 | Speaker 3:

roses and you ask how is that how do how did we get this phone number of this potential guy that she works with that's the guy that she's talking about in the diary

00:35:55 - 00:36:17 | Speaker 6:

i have my wave it's just the the guy that i expect it i expect it to be based on you know where she works i'm able to access that information wait so we're not even sure that this is the guy this yeah i mean it's it's his cell phone it's on his business i know

00:36:17 - 00:36:20 | Speaker 1:

but but you're not sure she didn't name this guy when she was writing

00:36:20 - 00:36:26 | Speaker 3:

Did she say his name ever

00:36:26 - 00:36:29 | Speaker 6:

No there's no name or anything

00:36:29 - 00:36:31 | Speaker 3:

But this is the guy that you think is the guy

00:36:31 - 00:36:36 | Speaker 6:

This is the guy I'm assuming yeah

00:36:36 - 00:36:39 | Speaker 1:

If you're right I feel like the CIA Should hire you

00:36:39 - 00:36:41 | Speaker 2:

This is risky though

00:36:41 - 00:37:12 | Speaker 3:

Well it's gonna Make you either Find out that your wife is cheating With this guy and you've got an amazing intuition or it's going to be extremely awkward for her and a guy that she works with. We're going to do a three-way call, War of the Roses. I need you to mute your phone and don't say a word, and let's just see what they sound like when they're talking to each other, thinking that they each dialed each other up. All right. Mute your phone. Okay.

00:37:19 - 00:37:32 | Speaker 7:

Hello? Hello?

00:37:36 - 00:37:40 | Speaker 4:

Hello? Hello?

00:37:46 - 00:38:05 | Speaker 7:

Hello? Hello? Hello? Jerry? Who is this? This is Paul. Oh, hi, Paul. I didn't know what was happening.

00:38:08 - 00:38:09 | Speaker 4:

That was weird.

00:38:09 - 00:38:10 | Speaker 7:

That was really weird.

00:38:11 - 00:38:12 | Speaker 4:

What's going on?

00:38:14 - 00:38:15 | Speaker 7:

It's nice to hear from you.

00:38:19 - 00:38:23 | Speaker 4:

So, uh, how you, how you been doing?

00:38:25 - 00:38:33 | Speaker 7:

Um, I'm, I guess I'm better now. I don't know. I've been okay. How are you?

00:38:33 - 00:39:01 | Speaker 4:

I'm good. Um, I was just, uh, thinking about, um, yeah, thinking about everything. Just, uh, feeling pretty good. Um, let's see what you have going on this upcoming weekend, maybe. for uh just uh just getting together for um uh talk about yeah yeah um yeah i might

00:39:01 - 00:39:13 | Speaker 7:

i might be able to um have some i'd have to um but i i don't probably What are you thinking?

00:39:15 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 4:

Um, okay, so, you know, if you were maybe to, I don't know, you can come over, we can go over and some other stuff I have put aside. You know, but, you know, obviously keeping it professional as much as possible. Yeah. when do you need a response by um sooner than later but um you know no pressure um i can um i can make it um you know for work i can try and make it so it's kind of like a lunch um but we can we can stay

00:40:00 - 00:40:07 | Speaker 2:

and if we need to. Are you putting your Yeah. Wow. Oh.

00:40:13 - 00:40:21 | Speaker 1:

We are professionals and we're keeping it professional. Everything is above the boards here. So, I mean, it's all very, very,

00:40:21 - 00:40:41 | Speaker 2:

yeah, very professional here. It doesn't sound very professional to me. Hello? Hello? Who's this? It's your husband. Who the f*** is this guy?

00:40:43 - 00:40:43 | Speaker 3:

Wait.

00:40:44 - 00:40:49 | Speaker 2:

Terry? Why are you meeting up with him, and what is all this giggling and...

00:40:49 - 00:40:51 | Speaker 1:

Frank, let me talk for a second.

00:40:51 - 00:40:55 | Speaker 2:

You guys suck at flirting, by the way, but... Terry. What is going on?

00:40:56 - 00:41:24 | Speaker 1:

Terry, this is the Mojo in the Morning Show, And your husband, Frank, called us up to see what was going on between you and a co-worker. And he thinks that you guys have something happening with each other. And obviously, it seems like there is something going on with you guys. Terry, is there something going on? Terry?

00:41:26 - 00:41:28 | Speaker 2:

Hello? She's not going to say anything.

00:41:28 - 00:41:37 | Speaker 1:

I don't think she's on the phone line. I think she got just kidding. I think she hung up the phone, and I think that...

00:41:37 - 00:41:39 | Speaker 2:

She knows she's caught. It's unreal, dude.

00:41:40 - 00:41:52 | Speaker 1:

And I know that he hung up well into you just jumping on and starting to talk. Why did you suspect that that was a guy that she was talking about or having some kind of a thing with?

00:41:54 - 00:42:33 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I just, I don't know. just based on all the guys that she works with i just does she talk about him a lot at home does she bring him up a lot she's mentioned his name but she's never said anything before that would make me think that you know she liked him or anything but i just started paying attention to all the guys that she worked with the guys that she interacted with most often and um he just seemed to be you know a lot of the other guys are like really old or you know not her type or whatever so i just assumed by the way she was describing him and talking about him i was like

00:42:33 - 00:43:08 | Speaker 1:

oh this is probably the guy uh we're we're trying to see if we can call her and him back up was what they were doing flirting i want to i want to get into that as a quick uh discussion and and find out what you guys think or was that them just talking about something and we were all just thinking that there was more flirting going on they were definitely flirting i mean yeah not very well hold on a second frank this is the home of war of the roses we love mojo in the morning Mojo in the Morning.

00:43:12 - 00:43:20 | Speaker 2:

Join the discussion now. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:43:23 - 00:44:11 | Speaker 1:

War of the Roses, Mojo in the Morning show coming up in just a little bit. Update on this War of the Roses. But first, I want to ask the question of our listeners. when you're listening to these guys have their conversation this three-way call and for those that just tuned in it was a husband who suspected that his wife was cheating because he read things in a diary that she had been keeping or into a journal that she'd been writing and read her talking about another guy and we did a three-way call with somebody that he suspected that she works with that you know they could be cheating with each other do you think that it sounds like they're cheating kristin wants to comment on that what's going on kristin hey there um my red flag

00:44:11 - 00:44:22 | Speaker 5:

was when he had said oh we'll try to keep it as professional as possible like when they were talking about her coming over yeah and so that was the red flag to me not even talking about it

00:44:22 - 00:44:27 | Speaker 4:

they were joking about it it's all highly professional of course keeping it professional

00:44:27 - 00:44:28 | Speaker 1:

We're going to look at charts. Yeah.

00:44:29 - 00:44:32 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Expense reports.

00:44:33 - 00:44:52 | Speaker 1:

By the way, you know, it's funny. We don't see faces of them, but we see our faces on the video of this, which when you see our faces of it, the funniest is words are just going. Like, it's kind of like, you know, you taste a lemon. You ever taste a lemon and you kind of look at your face? That's what it's like when you're hearing them talking. What's up, Yolanda? Hi.

00:44:53 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 5:

Hi. Good morning. First time long time. Hey. You

00:45:00 - 00:45:16 | Speaker 4:

So, so many red flags. The diary thing, we should not be writing about a man in our diary, especially if we're married. Obviously, he's going to find that if you guys live together. Two, why are you going over this damp house? Like, what?

00:45:17 - 00:45:18 | Speaker 6:

Or I don't think they were.

00:45:18 - 00:45:19 | Speaker 4:

That's not professional.

00:45:19 - 00:45:32 | Speaker 6:

I don't think they were going to the house, though. And maybe when the War of the Roses 3, because the calls go on. These calls go on for way longer than what you hear. but I think that they were meeting somewhere. I think that, yeah.

00:45:32 - 00:45:33 | Speaker 4:

I think they were going to go to the house.

00:45:34 - 00:45:34 | Speaker 6:

You think so?

00:45:34 - 00:45:36 | Speaker 4:

I don't think they were going anywhere else.

00:45:36 - 00:45:37 | Speaker 6:

I couldn't get past the giggling.

00:45:38 - 00:45:43 | Speaker 7:

I was all, she might be right now. I love that Frank said it was bad flirting.

00:45:43 - 00:45:49 | Speaker 5:

I feel like they did start off, it sounded like they were going to the house and then you mentioned using the company card. To go out.

00:45:50 - 00:46:17 | Speaker 6:

Well, and I had to bleep out a lot because the company, you could hear what the name of the company was based on the things that they're talking about or you'll be able to put two and two together. So a lot of times we have to bleep that stuff out. Otherwise, you know, we're going to get ourselves into some more legal issues. But I will tell you, it sounded like they were going to be paying to go somewhere or do something. Like there was some money that was going to be involved in it. But I couldn't get past the giggling, for Christ's sake. I don't know.

00:46:18 - 00:46:18 | Unknown:

So annoying.

00:46:18 - 00:46:25 | Speaker 6:

That was, yeesh, my God. Hold on. Gail wants to comment on the journal. What's up, Gail?

00:46:26 - 00:46:38 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. Where I don't condone what she did whatsoever, writing it, doing it, maybe he's deflecting because guilty people look for other people to be guilty also so that it makes them look less guilty.

00:46:38 - 00:46:39 | Speaker 6:

That's interesting.

00:46:39 - 00:46:41 | Speaker 3:

That's just my observation of it.

00:46:41 - 00:46:46 | Speaker 6:

So his suspicion is drawn by him possibly not being on the up and up.

00:46:46 - 00:46:48 | Speaker 3:

Deflection is a real thing. We all see it.

00:46:49 - 00:46:53 | Speaker 6:

Well, we have seen that before in some of these things that we've done, these War of the Roses.

00:46:53 - 00:47:00 | Speaker 5:

Sometimes you just think your partner is cheating. yeah i mean it's not like you were doing anything well they said that they were in a rough patch too

00:47:00 - 00:47:05 | Speaker 3:

so what makes you think that he's not seeking other people's attention in this rough patch with

00:47:05 - 00:47:39 | Speaker 7:

her yeah i mean that's a big assumption yes giant leap there gail but i like to leap so by the way did any of you guys watch sex life i think it was on netflix no a year or two ago they had two seasons this this was kind of the premise for that show of the woman would write these like fantasies and recollections she had about in in this in her case it was an ex-boyfriend that was currently in her life again but yeah i mean this is these that's this happens i think

00:47:39 - 00:48:13 | Speaker 6:

you gotta be careful too with the the whole journaling things only because not it could get in the hands of somebody else but sometimes when you go back and you look at your thing that you wrote down in that journal a lot of times it was how you felt in the moment and there was probably no action that was taken on that one but you got to be really really careful of keeping those things around especially if you're in a situation where you and your spouse are not getting along like frank had told us that they had been having kind of a bad marriage what's going on uh greg hey how you doing good buddy what's happening all right so i just wanted to

00:48:13 - 00:48:43 | Speaker 1:

comment on that so what gave it away for me was when he said i'm gonna try to keep it professional as possible yeah but then there was a whole lot of giggling going on right and and i don't know if they actually did anything yet but it's leading there and it might have if he if she's been writing him about writing about him in the diary something is going on she has some kind of feelings because ain't nobody who will write about another man in the diary yeah at the bare minimum that you hold

00:48:43 - 00:49:01 | Speaker 6:

to your heart at the bare minimum it's emotional shooting yeah yeah yeah how great are you married dating yes so both four years oh married all right so if you heard your wife with a guy that she works with and they're laughing like that on the phone are you going to reach through the phone

00:49:01 - 00:49:21 | Speaker 1:

and grab that guy by the the throat yeah we will have a definitely have a conversation like why are you talking to him like that that you should not be talking in a relationship you should not be talking to another man on that type of level or anything like that period yeah you know so we're not grabbing the man you can say in front of me exactly yeah we're not grabbing the man we having

00:49:21 - 00:49:40 | Speaker 6:

a conversation with our wife well not the problem well she's uh she's obviously the start of the problem because she is your wife she should know better but uh i know buts i'd still buts bro i'm still grabbing his giggle box what's going on how you doing sarah okay so i hear everybody speaking

00:49:40 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 2:

on you know just them giggling and stuff but at the end of the day how i always feel about relationships is if he had the time to go snoop through her things and has suspicions like why not put the time into taking her out or buying her flowers like i'm pretty sure

00:50:00 - 00:50:16 | Speaker 4:

he hasn't heard her going to therapy i mean you know that yeah i mean that you're right i'm not condoning cheating and especially when you're married but i feel like when there's a rough patch people always look outside to other energies instead of like putting that time back into each

00:50:16 - 00:50:52 | Speaker 2:

other well and from what i know about these guys because this has been some time but what i know is the rumor is that they are in therapy right now that they're not uh uh split apart so hopefully it does work out but you're right though if you're working this much energy into kind of being mr private investigator you know maybe you guys need to spend a little bit more time together working on this gina what's happening it's mojo in the morning war of the roses if you missed it you got to go listen to the podcast of this or even better yet go to our tiktok channel 955 is where we put all of it the channel 955 tiktok all of the war of the roses that we've done what's going on

00:50:52 - 00:51:17 | Speaker 5:

good morning good morning first time long time um i was just gonna say on going off of all the other callers that when he said like i'm gonna keep it professional of course she literally said oh yeah like that was a giveaway

00:51:17 - 00:51:31 | Speaker 2:

yeah it was kind of like right we're gonna keep her professional you're right i mean there were there's a lot of, there's a lot of, uh, of little things that you can kind of read into it, listening back to it. And I always hear it the second or third time that I listened to it.

00:51:31 - 00:51:36 | Speaker 3:

That wasn't even little to me. That was so obviously very flirty, but I don't, but I don't,

00:51:36 - 00:51:53 | Speaker 2:

it was like a big old wing. Yeah. But I don't hear it the first time. I think I'm looking for more specifics. You know what I mean? Like I want to hear more things that are so outright cheating that I don't hear it until I listen to it again. Kelly, what's happening?

00:51:54 - 00:51:55 | Speaker 6:

Hello, hello.

00:51:55 - 00:51:56 | Speaker 2:

Hey.

00:51:57 - 00:52:24 | Speaker 6:

First time we're here, too. Oh, my gosh. I love it. So, Kelly here is fuming a little bit because let's say maybe he is taking her out and is getting her flowers, and she's just a cheater, cheater. But also, why would she flip in the flap, hang up the phone if she wasn't cheating well that's always the thing when they hang up and

00:52:24 - 00:52:37 | Speaker 2:

especially the the guy that we called i don't know what his name was but the guy that we called when we called him and then he heard frank the husband jump on the phone and then he just right

00:52:37 - 00:52:50 | Speaker 6:

away jumped off yeah yeah i mean right there i'm like oh my i mean of course i thought that before that with flirting and all that but hey hey question for you why did it take you this long

00:52:50 - 00:53:50 | Speaker 2:

to call us up ever what's going on kelly i'm not sure about that all right this was will you do us a favor call us more often give us more calls keep this in your phone program 844-665-6548 all right will do all right appreciate it kelly this is the home of the second date update war of the roses the throwback throw down and the dirty of the 30 this is mojo in the morning all right giving away a car we're going to be doing that a week from tomorrow we're going to be giving that away at moran chevrolet off of gratiot road where is that a clinton township i believe it is yep so giving you a chance to win a brand new chevy or $25,000 cash. Qualify now. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. The 95th caller. Good luck. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. All right, Shannon. What is going on in this hour's Dirty on the 30?

00:53:50 - 00:54:20 | Speaker 3:

Well, Michelle Obama is speaking out again because I feel like she's had to explain herself several times. Obama! Concerning why she did not attend President Donald Trump's inauguration. On a recent episode of her podcast with her brother, Craig Robinson, the former first lady, explained that skipping that event wasn't an easy choice, but it was the right one for her. And she said it took everything she had in her to prioritize her own well-being.

00:54:20 - 00:54:47 | Speaker 1:

my decision to skip the inauguration you know what people don't realize or my decision to make choices at the beginning of this year that suited me were met with such ridicule and criticism like people couldn't believe that i was saying no for any other reason that they had to assume that my marriage was falling apart right she said that's where it's like i it took

00:54:47 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 3:

so much for me to make this decision for me. And then this is like the fallout from it. All of a sudden, you know, I'm all over page six and TMZ. She said now after years in the White House spotlight, therapy is.

00:55:00 - 00:55:54 | Speaker 2:

helped her reclaim her identity and her peace. And she said, we made it through. I can look back and say, but what happened to me during that time in the spotlight in the White House? Her answer, maybe finally I've realized I am good enough. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Teddy Mellencamp sharing some positive news about those tumors that were found in her brain. She was diagnosed with cancer back in February. It started in her brain before spreading to her lungs and it had reached stage four. My tumors have significantly shrunk, which doctors believe means that this all will work and that I will be back to myself and feeling good. She said she has two more sessions of immunotherapy and then hopefully she will be done and cancer free. At 43 years old, she said doctors had given her originally a 50-50 chance of survival.

00:55:54 - 00:55:59 | Speaker 3:

That's great news. Dirty story from a couple weeks ago is that her dad, John Mellencamp, was preparing for her funeral.

00:55:59 - 00:56:00 | Speaker 2:

In Indiana. Yeah.

00:56:01 - 00:56:03 | Speaker 3:

So this is the good news. Yeah, absolutely. Definitely coming of the way.

00:56:03 - 00:56:19 | Speaker 2:

Absolutely. And game three of the NBA playoffs for the Pistons tonight. Talk, Shannon. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Little Caesars Arena. Coach J.B. Bickerstaff says the guys are just feeding off of the positivity of the city right now.

00:56:19 - 00:56:40 | Speaker 1:

It's been a fun experience just to see how interested people are and how excited they are about their teams and you know credit to all the organizations for you know building that momentum and putting together teams that are competitive that bring a winning attitude feel like they carry the same type of chip on their shoulder and attitude of grittiness and toughness

00:56:40 - 00:56:46 | Speaker 3:

look at that oh this guy's a game changer isn't he 82 degrees it's but inside the game's inside

00:56:46 - 00:56:50 | Speaker 4:

what do we care about the weather well i was gonna say it's gonna be hotter inside oh okay

00:56:50 - 00:57:10 | Speaker 3:

Oh, quick question for you, Kev. Kev knows the Kev guy that's on the court and stuff like this. Yeah, Kev guy. You were telling me that, because I was asking you, I was like, hey, you want to wear one of those Grayson sweatshirts? I could make a phone call and get one of those Grayson sweatshirts for you. You said that you have to wear blue and red tonight or something.

00:57:10 - 00:57:12 | Speaker 4:

I don't have to, but I would prefer to.

00:57:12 - 00:57:27 | Speaker 3:

Have you seen the blue buildings all around town? Everybody's doing blue. Yeah, yeah. MGM I saw this morning on my way in. I was driving in. I'm like, look at this. So everybody has kind of changed the buildings to be, you know, all Pistons-based. That's right.

00:57:27 - 00:57:46 | Speaker 4:

The Detroit Free Press building looks beautiful. The train station looks incredible. And if you don't have tickets to the game, you can still be a part of the energy and the excitement. I think one of the cool things that the Pistons are doing this year is inside of the Chevy Plaza, which is on the Little Seizures Arena kind of grounds, there'll be a ton of free activations, face painting, DJs will be out there.

00:57:46 - 00:57:50 | Speaker 2:

What a great day to go outside and hang and do that. 80 degrees, come on.

00:57:50 - 00:58:03 | Speaker 3:

I have a question, though, that I wanted to ask. Is the game on ESPN tonight? Because I hate the announcers on ESPN. Who is it? Because the announcer is the Knicks announcer. So the guy that's the— Mike Breen? Mike Breen.

00:58:03 - 00:58:05 | Speaker 4:

Bang, the famous Mike Breen.

00:58:05 - 00:58:26 | Speaker 3:

And I feel like they're very—Saturday's game was on ESPN. They were very biased that they were Knicks fans. And then I was listening and watching the game on, I think it was TNT on Monday, and it was much better non-biased announcements. Well, you're in luck. What do we got? TNT, baby. Is it TNT? Yes, it is. You're in luck. All right. I like it.

00:58:26 - 00:58:38 | Speaker 4:

It doesn't matter who's commentating, though. We're going to be on the floor handling our business, and that's what matters. And I pray Spike Lee is in the city. I pray Ben Stiller is in the city, and I pray that they're listening right now. Yeah. It's your popcorn ready. It's going to be a show.

00:58:39 - 00:59:04 | Speaker 3:

Are they going to do the final countdown tonight? We'll see. Will we do that for the announcement? Mason? We'll see. They better. If they don't do the bring back the Mason moment there, I got to play for you. I promised I was going to do this the other day. I got to play for you, Dwayne Wade, talking about what it's like to be an opposing player coming to Detroit when Mason would do the Detroit basketball.

00:59:05 - 00:59:18 | Speaker 4:

It's always exciting to see former players who now have front office positions or are on the coaching staff. You see them come back and the way that they speak to Mason. It's great. Oh, I say the greatest ever, the Hall of Famer. He's incredible.

00:59:18 - 00:59:23 | Speaker 2:

Hey, for all of today's Dirty, catch up on what you missed out on. Just listen to the podcast or to Mojo in the Morning in the free iHeartRadio app.

00:59:23 - 00:59:35 | Speaker 1:

Ladies and gentlemen, you're listening to the amazing Mojo. Get more dirt at MojoInTheMorning.com. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:59:36 - 00:59:51 | Speaker 3:

God, I loved when he was in the studio next door to us at JLB. Mason, you should have never left JLB. You're a legend. You should have retired. He should actually still be on the air at JLB right now. Can I give you a quick story? Put him on instead of Breakfast Club. I love that guy.

00:59:51 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 4:

Quick Mason story. I was asking him kind of like what was his mindset when he was creating these famous world-class historic introductions like the one you just played.

00:59:59 - 01:00:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. And he said he always envisioned himself reading a comic book. And the athletes on the floor were his superheroes. And when you look at, like, a comic book and how things are written out, that's how he saw Ben Wallace. Or Chauncey Phillips. It was great. Just bringing imagination, man. It's incredible.

01:00:16 - 01:00:52 | Speaker 4:

I remember when he started doing the games. Ken Calvert was the guy before. And there was a lot of Pistons fans that were purists and didn't like that Mason was doing this. I went to the games when Grant Hill was there and the team was sucking it. Wow. You know, ass. There you go. And nobody was excited. All of a sudden, I'm like, this is awesome. The way I realized Mason was great was when I looked at, you know, nine-year-old Joey at the time. That's how young Joey was at the time. I looked at Joey, and Joey's eyes lit up when the freaking pyrotechnics were going off, you know, underneath the baskets. It was awesome. Did you see what these tickets are going for?

01:00:52 - 01:00:53 | Speaker 3:

Yes, they should.

01:00:53 - 01:00:54 | Speaker 4:

What are they going for? What are they going?

01:00:55 - 01:00:56 | Speaker 2:

4,000. Really?

01:00:56 - 01:00:59 | Speaker 3:

That's like VIP, though. That's got to be like front row. Oh, yeah.

01:00:59 - 01:01:00 | Speaker 2:

$2,000.

01:01:00 - 01:01:05 | Speaker 3:

What's upper decks? $300. I looked last night. It was like $327 or something like that.

01:01:06 - 01:01:21 | Speaker 4:

Deb. Hey, good morning. Good morning. You're a winner, Deb. Yeah. Congratulations to you. You are now qualified to win a brand new Chevy. What kind of car are we going to be driving if you win this thing?

01:01:22 - 01:01:23 | Speaker 3:

We're going to be driving a Corvette.

01:01:23 - 01:01:24 | Speaker 4:

I love it.

01:01:24 - 01:01:25 | Speaker 3:

Thank you, Deb. Thank you.

01:01:26 - 01:01:28 | Speaker 4:

Go for it. Congrats to you. Hopefully it is.

01:01:28 - 01:01:32 | Speaker 3:

It's going to be 80 today and sunny. I want a convertible. Yes.

01:01:32 - 01:01:33 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

01:01:33 - 01:01:34 | Speaker 3:

Finally.

01:01:34 - 01:01:43 | Speaker 4:

Congrats to you. Next was a week from Friday. A week from Friday, we're going to be giving this away, May the 2nd. So make sure you make plans that morning to stay with us, okay?

01:01:44 - 01:01:44 | Speaker 3:

I will.

01:01:45 - 01:01:46 | Speaker 4:

All right. You hang on the phone for just one second.

01:01:47 - 01:01:48 | Speaker 3:

All right. Thank you.

01:01:48 - 01:02:17 | Speaker 4:

All right. Mojo in the morning. All right. I got some bad news, and this is not great, but I need some help from some listeners on this one. Remember when I fell and I posted the picture of my bruises and stuff? But the good news is my bruises are way less. I've been doing this laser thing with Dr. Marvin, who's been amazing. Dr. Marvin from Body Pain. I don't know what the heck it's called. It's in West Bloomfield, Dr. Marvin.

01:02:17 - 01:02:19 | Speaker 1:

You've got to shout him out now. Get it right.

01:02:19 - 01:02:21 | Speaker 4:

Should I get it right? Hold on a second. Let me look and see.

01:02:21 - 01:02:35 | Speaker 1:

Because you have been raving about how much this helped. So while you're looking for that, I have noticed you, and if you watch the live on Facebook, you've noticed Mojo hanging onto your left shoulder throughout the entire show.

01:02:36 - 01:03:13 | Speaker 4:

So Dr. Marvin's Michigan Spine and Pain on Maple Road in West Bloomfield. He's a friend of Ryan Lashes, so thank you to him. My shoulder's not good. So I have an appointment today with Michigan orthopedic surgeons and I went and visited some doctors after taking an MRI and I have, I wrote it down in my phone here. Actually, I had the doctor speak it. I have a full thickness tear of my subscapularis tendon. 75% of my tendon is torn and retracted.

01:03:14 - 01:03:15 | Speaker 1:

75%.

01:03:15 - 01:03:33 | Speaker 4:

I actually, when I fell down the stairs and I was so just concerned about sliding down the stairs, I dislocated my shoulder, but it popped back in the place, I guess, when I got back up. Isn't that crazy? But it caused for a tear. So with this said, they want me to have surgery.

01:03:34 - 01:03:35 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

01:03:35 - 01:04:01 | Speaker 4:

They told me that, listen to this, and you tell me if I'm effed. I have to have surgery. I'd have to take four days off probably for the post-op after the surgery. I will be in a sling for four to six weeks. I will not be able to drive during the four to six weeks because legally you cannot drive with one arm, which I don't understand that because if you're an amputated human being, how can you drive with one arm?

01:04:01 - 01:04:03 | Speaker 2:

You have to get that thing on your wheel, right?

01:04:03 - 01:04:03 | Speaker 4:

I don't know.

01:04:04 - 01:04:05 | Speaker 2:

The adaptive like handle.

01:04:05 - 01:04:18 | Speaker 4:

So I cannot drive. So that will be crazy. I will have no activity. i won't be able to golf or do anything for six months minimum that's the whole summer's out

01:04:18 - 01:04:22 | Speaker 1:

the whole summer my summer's like your happiness during the summer that's the first off there's

01:04:22 - 01:04:53 | Speaker 4:

only three months of summer in this place right we don't get much good weather here so you get 90 days pretty much of of that and that's all i'd like to do in the summertime is is uh you know golf and then the other thing that sucks about the whole deal is that's been my fear my fear is gaining weight i've been really trying to you know be active yeah my fear is all of a sudden this is another an obstacle in my you know trying to lose weight and stay active although you could still walk i can still walk but my walking was golfing like i was just golfing and walking 18

01:04:53 - 01:04:58 | Speaker 1:

holes can you put off the surgery till the end of the summer so at least you get some a few months of golfing

01:04:58 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 4:

or you can't even do it.

01:05:00 - 01:05:19 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to see a doc today, but according, according to one of the docs that I saw, they said that they, the earlier they get to this, the better because of, uh, you know, everything is in, you know, is still attached, but then I also, but well, but then I don't think I, you know, I definitely, I can't do anything for, for four weeks minimum, no matter what.

01:05:19 - 01:05:27 | Speaker 3:

No, I'm saying like right now, even if you said, okay, I'm going to push the surgery back to August, which you, which you can't do what you just explained, but could you golf or are you in that much pain that you couldn't do it?

01:05:27 - 01:05:55 | Speaker 1:

There is a possibility, and some people have told me this, including the doctor, but he didn't recommend it, that I could just put this off completely and just say, I'll do physical therapy. But then you have a risk of you lose motion. Like, lifting my arm, I have to do it really slowly like this. That might be my every day if I have, like where I have to. But then again, it's my non-dominant arm. It's my left. So don't ask me to raise my hands up in the air and wave them like I just don't care.

01:05:55 - 01:05:57 | Speaker 2:

And you're trying to do this naturally, right?

01:05:58 - 01:06:00 | Speaker 1:

I would like to.

01:06:00 - 01:06:01 | Speaker 2:

Can I recommend a product?

01:06:01 - 01:06:02 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:06:02 - 01:06:10 | Speaker 2:

Have you, I know Calvin Johnson brought him into us. Have you used his Primitive Performance cream? It's like an icy hot that has CBD in it.

01:06:10 - 01:06:11 | Speaker 3:

Amazing.

01:06:11 - 01:06:27 | Speaker 2:

Listen, not sponsored, 10 out of 10 would recommend that product. I use it on every bump, bruise, soreness, pulled muscle, that stuff. Chef's kiss. Amazing. And I would put it on for now and see if it gives you more range of motion.

01:06:27 - 01:06:34 | Speaker 1:

I honestly would like to do everything I can do if I could without having to do surgery because I just don't like going. I don't want to go under the knife.

01:06:34 - 01:06:34 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:06:35 - 01:07:30 | Speaker 1:

And where this is not cancer, it's not heart, you know, issues. I had heart issues. I would never wait on something like that. I just sit there and I think to myself, I'm like, this is like one summer out of my life. This is morbid to think this. What if I die next year? This is my last summer. No, I'm being serious. I got six months in a freaking sling. So my fear is, so this is kind of my thing. I don't know. Is there any listeners that have put off surgery and miraculously were healed? Or are there any listeners of ours that have put off surgery and now they can't even move their arm? You wish I would have just done it. Like my fear is, my fear, they give me the worst case scenario. So what's the worst case scenario if I put this off? worst case scenario is it does a full tear off and then i have to have a um a fake shoulder or whatever it is like a full replacement like a full replacement in my shoulder that's even worse

01:07:30 - 01:07:34 | Speaker 2:

because then you have to get that redone you have to replace those once you start getting them

01:07:34 - 01:07:53 | Speaker 1:

do you know what the doc told me though he told which is interesting because he's he's the one doc i went and saw as the nfl doc was the lions now is the bears doc he told me that this is the deshaun watson uh thing so i got that in common with him which is probably the only thing i want account, which is Sean Watson. I had no bank account. No, not a bank. I don't know.

01:07:53 - 01:08:01 | Speaker 2:

I think you should take the temporary loss, man, for the long-term win. I agree. You're going to have 30 more summers. You think so due to surgery? I agree.

01:08:01 - 01:08:06 | Speaker 3:

You should enjoy all 30 summers you have ahead of you. Have you told my husband that you're not going to be able to golf?

01:08:07 - 01:08:07 | Speaker 1:

I have not.

01:08:07 - 01:08:11 | Speaker 3:

Because he is so looking forward to golfing with you for a summer. Do you know how depressed?

01:08:12 - 01:08:51 | Speaker 1:

Can I tell you the most depressing thing? was when i got the phone call from uh uh dr bicos over at uh michigan orthopedic he called me on saturday to tell me the mri i literally sat in the car depressed like i i sat there i've not been i i don't think i've been that depressed since the day that my dad died like as weird as it sounds yeah i was really depressed it was it was tough and then i kind of slowly kind of came out of it when i talked to some other people that said hey there's other options you know stem cells was one of the things that people were talking about but um jordan what's up it's mojo in the morning what's going on give me some good news jordan what do you got for me besides take the loss like these

01:08:51 - 01:09:22 | Speaker 4:

guys are telling me hey mojo i'm here to pick you up man can you hear me okay i got you what's going on hey so i'm a physical therapist here at corwell health oh and uh we i know dr b goes pretty well him and i are pretty pretty much buddies so yeah you know with this type of surgery you should You should feel encouraged. I mean, it depends on what you want to do, but I feel like a lot of times people get better results when they have therapy before, and it just kind of makes the results even after surgery better.

01:09:23 - 01:09:25 | Speaker 1:

Have you ever seen anybody not do surgery at all?

01:09:26 - 01:09:57 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. Yeah, we have patients. I have one right now that's choosing not to do it. I'm about to go in and take care of them right now. Is it a good choice or a bad choice? What do you think? I think if you're someone who's retired and doesn't really want to do much and just in general you're doing some light yard work, I think it's fine. But if you want to golf and, you know, you're young, I think you want to be able to do the most. And, you know, you look at it like a suspension bridge. If you have 75% of that bridge gone, you really want to drive. Yeah.

01:10:00 - 01:10:05 | Speaker 5:

You know it's good when he says son of a bitch.

01:10:06 - 01:10:08 | Speaker 1:

What if I'm a bad golfer?

01:10:08 - 01:10:09 | Speaker 5:

It's all about your potential.

01:10:09 - 01:10:11 | Speaker 1:

What if I'm like a 23 handicap?

01:10:12 - 01:10:14 | Speaker 5:

Is it your right shoulder or your left shoulder?

01:10:14 - 01:10:15 | Speaker 1:

It's my left shoulder.

01:10:16 - 01:10:20 | Speaker 5:

Okay, so that's your dominant shoulder when you're golf, assuming that you golf. Right-handed.

01:10:21 - 01:10:22 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, now I know.

01:10:22 - 01:10:49 | Speaker 5:

That's making sense. Jordan, that's not what I want to hear. I do golf therapy, and I think it's important just in general. But like I said, you can kind of do a little bit of prehab, as they say, and it goes a lot better. I mean, if you're not in dire need and you really want to golf, I mean, like they said, you might lose the motion, but if you work at it hard enough, you'll get it back. It's all relative.

01:10:49 - 01:10:59 | Speaker 1:

All right. Well, thank you for the kind words, and I appreciate you, man. Thanks, man. Appreciate it. Somebody tell me what I want to hear. That's what I want to hear.

01:10:59 - 01:11:00 | Speaker 2:

What do you want to hear?

01:11:00 - 01:11:06 | Speaker 1:

I want to hear that the Lord's going to come and lay his hands on me and heal me.

01:11:06 - 01:11:13 | Speaker 2:

This might be a blessing, though. You might have got hit by a car and killed on your way to the golf course. You never know. This could actually save your life.

01:11:13 - 01:11:13 | Speaker 1:

Oh, great.

01:11:13 - 01:11:16 | Speaker 2:

Good point. You're saying, don't look at it a different way. I think that way all the time, Kev.

01:11:16 - 01:11:22 | Speaker 1:

But Chelsea would look at that as she can collect insurance. What's going on, Chris? Hi, Chris.

01:11:23 - 01:11:25 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. I'm through.

01:11:26 - 01:11:26 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

01:11:26 - 01:12:45 | Speaker 3:

Oh, oh my God. Okay. Three things. Yeah. Number one, first time forever listener. Yes, Chris. I love you all like you are my family. We love you too. um okay second thing my husband did this injury on his shoulder last year and he said I'm going to do physical therapy I'm just going to wait and he literally has no range of motion and he's in his 40s and I've been telling him because I'm a nurse you need to listen to the doctors you need to get this surgery oh well i think if i just do this or if i just don't use it now his arm is hanging down like a little chicken oh my god oh lordy yeah oh so mojo you're you are too young you are too young if you have that percentage of a tear i know a lot of people don't want to do surgery because it's scary and you know it'll take you away but if you wait till next summer you might not even be able to move your arm up he can't even move his arm up to waist length he can't oh really this is the call that you didn't want to get but you need to hear so what

01:12:45 - 01:12:52 | Speaker 1:

is he going to get what is he going to do now well you know every day i say are you going to

01:12:52 - 01:12:57 | Speaker 3:

call the doctor and he said oh i will when when i don't you know when i'm not busy when i'm not

01:12:57 - 01:13:07 | Speaker 1:

on a meeting call so i that's the problem too that's the problem too chris is that is is that You know, you got all the stuff. How do I get away from this? You know what I mean?

01:13:08 - 01:13:09 | Speaker 2:

You got to take care of yourself, bro.

01:13:09 - 01:13:12 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Get this. You got to worry about your life.

01:13:12 - 01:13:16 | Speaker 3:

You're going to lose. Hanging like a chicken. All he can do is flush it totally.

01:13:17 - 01:13:18 | Speaker 2:

He can't raise his hand higher.

01:13:18 - 01:13:19 | Speaker 1:

He can't even raise his hand higher.

01:13:19 - 01:13:25 | Speaker 3:

He can't. He can't. And I sit across the table from him and I look at it and it is atrophying. I'm not kidding you.

01:13:26 - 01:13:34 | Speaker 1:

That's what they told me about. They were talking to me about that. Oh, geez. That's not what I wanted to hear. Kirstie, give me something I want to hear.

01:13:34 - 01:14:20 | Speaker 4:

what's going on hi first time long time what's going on mojo don't do it no wait okay tell me now i'm interested why because i had shoulder problems since i was in the fifth grade and uh i dislocated my shoulder um in the fifth grade and i always had shoulder problems and I had dislocated it the last time and in the freshman year and I had surgery and never been the same. Never been the same. In what way? I have arthritis. I have arthritis now and I'm like 36. That might be genetic.

01:14:20 - 01:14:23 | Speaker 1:

Well, also, could it be from all the injuries you've had on it?

01:14:24 - 01:14:34 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. And I have to go down. Like, I have to get, like, my shoulder popped and, like, get clear zone shots in it. Every, like, yeah. My problem.

01:14:35 - 01:15:37 | Speaker 1:

Here's also another problem that I face. And so I put my knee off for many years. Like, when I was in high school playing football and wrestling, I didn't do my knee for the longest time. And eventually I did have to have a 40-year-old knee replacement. Like, that's how bad it was because of the arthritis. So you saying that makes me even more interested in possibly wanting to get it taken care of now. Only because I kept putting my. You know, my dad was a doctor, and my dad was like, your knee's okay. Tape it up. Like, back in the, you know, back in my day. Spill it. Let some dirt on it. Yeah. But the arthritis was so bad. I don't ever want to go back to that pain of the arthritis, but I don't know. I haven't made my decision up. I swear to you, I do want to do the right thing for me, but I also will tell you this, that I'm not smarter than these doctors. I know that for a fact. But I also feel like sometimes docs just want to cut you open. You know what I mean? They're like, yeah, let's cut it. Let's go. You know what I mean? Like they got to pay their student loans.

01:15:38 - 01:15:39 | Speaker 4:

There's also a huge risk, right?

01:15:40 - 01:15:47 | Speaker 1:

I know. I just want to, all I want is, you know, I've not had a drink since that day.

01:15:47 - 01:15:48 | Speaker 4:

No.

01:15:48 - 01:15:54 | Speaker 1:

I literally, I think I may never drink it again. That is literally, that day was the worst moment ever.

01:15:54 - 01:16:01 | Speaker 3:

I mean, you're really hurt. and i and i is it more embarrassment or is it because of the pain that it was no no the pain

01:16:01 - 01:16:08 | Speaker 1:

the pain sucks and that sucks it's the thought of what the this injury is going to make my next

01:16:08 - 01:16:12 | Speaker 2:

you know months be like yeah think about the rest of your life don't think about the next few months

01:16:12 - 01:17:07 | Speaker 1:

but i'll but i'll you know also it was preventable all i had to have is something to eat and one less drink and i would have been fine we hear not over it's kind of like people that get in you know this is honestly has made me think about everything like people who drink and get it behind the wheel of a car like their life will never be the same after that you know what i mean so i don't know hey i know it's not cancer that that i'm i'm blessed with that i know it's not cancer and i know my i got my heart checked out the other day they said my heart's great so that's that's good and this is something that's minor there's people that have worse issues going on in their lives right now they can't pay their bills but i just uh it's it's sucks you know so it's so cross bro you don't gotta minimize it this is yours all right that's not what i wanted to hear i wish i was i was gonna i was hoping somebody would go i got the right thing for you you don't want here's the magic wand we're gonna do this i want that guy add the mojo in the morning show to your

01:17:07 - 01:17:14 | Speaker 4:

presets on our free iheart video app and never miss the show all right mojo in the morning

01:17:14 - 01:17:22 | Speaker 1:

I mean, things you should never say to a woman, and I guarantee you, Kevin has said them all. Go ahead.

01:17:22 - 01:17:45 | Speaker 2:

I don't know if I've said them all, and I need women to call in. I need Lydia, Kaji, Megan, Shannon. I need y'all to extend the list so that I don't put my foot in my mouth again. I was on the phone with my friend, and her nails, like, weren't connected to, like, her fingers. Like, I don't know what y'all call it. You know when you get your nails done a certain way? Oh, they grow out. Yeah, and it's that space in the middle. between the nail and your finger?

01:17:45 - 01:17:48 | Speaker 4:

She needed a fill. A fill-in. That's what you call it, yes.

01:17:48 - 01:17:58 | Speaker 2:

So I said, you need to get your nails done and pointed out the fill-in. And, I mean, we're friends. I didn't know it was going to be the worst thing you could possibly say to her, but she went off.

01:17:58 - 01:17:59 | Speaker 4:

She should have shown you one finger.

01:18:00 - 01:18:02 | Speaker 2:

I mean, that one needed a fill-in, too.

01:18:03 - 01:18:06 | Speaker 3:

She went off because you know that. You know when you're due.

01:18:06 - 01:18:13 | Speaker 2:

I see it, but I didn't know that that was a thing that you should never tell a woman. Like, you need your nails done if she had a fill-in.

01:18:13 - 01:18:20 | Speaker 4:

You literally said, you look a mess. Yes. That's what you said. You said, get yourself together, you mess.

01:18:21 - 01:18:27 | Speaker 3:

Is that how it feels? That's like me saying to you, man, you better go see Daryl because that beard is looking like a forest. Oh, I know.

01:18:27 - 01:18:28 | Speaker 4:

You need to line up.

01:18:29 - 01:18:46 | Speaker 2:

It does. That's okay, though. No, it is not. That is okay. No, it is not. Because I know I need a haircut. The playoffs are today. I've been preparing to go get a haircut today. Like, I know when my thing is happening. I'm doing this for a reason. She knew, but I didn't know that that was a thing you can't tell a woman. Like, your nails are a little...

01:18:46 - 01:18:52 | Speaker 4:

Bro, if I walked up to you, I'm like, you need to go get lined up right now. I'm like, you're right. No, you wouldn't.

01:18:52 - 01:18:53 | Speaker 2:

Your appointment is at 12.

01:18:53 - 01:19:04 | Speaker 3:

I feel like those are the things, though, that you think. It's not, like, super offensive or anything, but I would be... If you said that to me, I'd go, okay, I already know that. Why did he feel the need to say that to me?

01:19:05 - 01:19:06 | Speaker 4:

You think I don't know?

01:19:06 - 01:19:09 | Speaker 2:

Are there other things that a man should never say to a woman?

01:19:09 - 01:19:11 | Speaker 3:

Go get your roots touched up.

01:19:11 - 01:19:14 | Speaker 4:

Go get your lip waxed.

01:19:14 - 01:19:29 | Speaker 3:

But Wes said to me the other day, I had my feet up like on him, you know, as we were like chatting at the table. And he goes, God, your feet are so dry. I'm like, OK, I need to go get some lotion. But here's the thing, though. It doesn't offend me.

01:19:29 - 01:19:43 | Speaker 1:

Like in Kev's case, this is your female best friend. And in Wes's case, he's your husband and best friend. So why can you not be honest with somebody? Like, I feel like women are honest with men on stuff. Why is it that you cannot do that to a woman?

01:19:43 - 01:19:56 | Speaker 3:

You can. I just think in Kev's case, it's a very random thing to comment on. That you even noticed in the first place that there was that space in her nails. She had her phone set up. She knows, I promise you she was aware.

01:19:56 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 2:

So she wasn't holding it. She had both hands in the camera.

01:20:00 - 01:20:24 | Speaker 4:

looking like, you know, dog, like, you need your nails done. Space in between. That is bold to point that out. The problem is the tone. That's what it is, yeah. The problem is the, you know, damn, dog, you know. And then the problem for Wes is, boy, you need, like, a surprise. Like, it's kind of like, oh, wow, this is interesting. Eat. Desert. Little scaly.

01:20:25 - 01:20:25 | Speaker 5:

Okay, you told me.

01:20:26 - 01:20:28 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Erica, what's going on? Hi.

01:20:29 - 01:20:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, hi, everybody. Kev, I think you just didn't have to be as blunt as you were with her. Yeah, you're probably right. Her feelings will probably hurt. Like Megan said, you think she doesn't know she needs her nails done? But for you to point it out, now she feels called out.

01:20:42 - 01:20:43 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, you're probably right.

01:20:43 - 01:20:44 | Speaker 2:

And by a guy, nonetheless.

01:20:45 - 01:20:48 | Speaker 4:

You know what he needs to do? He needs to get her nails done.

01:20:48 - 01:20:55 | Speaker 5:

I was going to say, knowing Kev, he's going to send her a Venmo or a cash app for like 50 bucks to go get her film.

01:20:55 - 01:20:57 | Speaker 6:

These nails these days, boy.

01:20:57 - 01:21:02 | Speaker 5:

But imagine somebody, like, feeling their best and you just being like, let me knock you down a peg just to keep you in your place.

01:21:02 - 01:21:05 | Speaker 7:

I just want to remind you, you're not like that.

01:21:05 - 01:21:11 | Speaker 5:

You look good except for that quarter inch right there on all 10. 75% of you. I would be so mad.

01:21:12 - 01:21:22 | Speaker 4:

What's worse, your nails or your hair? Hair. Hair. Hair. Hair is the worst one. Your hair needs. Because why? Because it's more noticeable? Like, you can hide your fingers or what?

01:21:23 - 01:21:35 | Speaker 7:

No. I actually, no, like, I have red nail polish on that's super chipped. And I think it's way more noticeable that I have a hair appointment next week and I need my roots done. But I don't know what it is about my hair that it's like, yeah, it feels more important than nails.

01:21:35 - 01:21:37 | Speaker 6:

Are you getting your nails done soon?

01:21:38 - 01:21:47 | Speaker 7:

Let me tell you, my nail polish. First of all, I swear to God, you should be so lucky there's no sharp objects around me right now. Okay, because they would be flying at you.

01:21:48 - 01:21:49 | Speaker 4:

Denise, what's up?

01:21:50 - 01:21:57 | Speaker 8:

Hey, so I was going to say, like, the only thing that you could follow that up with is like, hey, you know, you need your nails done. here's $60.

01:21:57 - 01:22:01 | Speaker 4:

See, we've escalated. Yeah. We've escalated now.

01:22:01 - 01:22:06 | Speaker 7:

Watch what you say. It used to be $40, now it's $60. I don't even think $60 would cover it anymore. Oh, my God.

01:22:06 - 01:22:09 | Speaker 4:

By the way, that's a form of prostitution. That's male prostitution.

01:22:09 - 01:22:12 | Speaker 7:

And that's the right kind of prostitution, by the way.

01:22:12 - 01:22:13 | Speaker 4:

Tim, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning.

01:22:15 - 01:22:20 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I agree with Kev. I tell always my friends, like, you have split ends. You need to get those done right away.

01:22:20 - 01:22:25 | Speaker 4:

Really? Not as good. As a guy, you notice split ends. I don't think I've ever noticed split ends.

01:22:25 - 01:22:27 | Speaker 5:

I don't even notice split ends on myself half the time.

01:22:28 - 01:22:32 | Speaker 3:

If I look at your hair, I can probably tell if you have split ends. That is weird.

01:22:32 - 01:22:33 | Speaker 7:

Do you cut hair?

01:22:33 - 01:22:34 | Speaker 3:

Do you cut hair?

01:22:34 - 01:22:35 | Speaker 4:

Tim, are you straight?

01:22:37 - 01:22:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm obsessed with my hair, so I know when I have split ends.

01:22:41 - 01:22:52 | Speaker 4:

As a married man, I don't think I've ever noticed if my wife's hair, I've noticed if it's gotten longer. I don't know what split ends look like. What's up? How you doing, Mary?

01:22:53 - 01:23:05 | Speaker 1:

Hey, I was just calling to say, what Kevin said about the nails was fine. Sometimes people just need to not be so sensitive about things. And if they're friends, then I think she shouldn't have taken it the wrong way.

01:23:05 - 01:23:16 | Speaker 4:

Love that. The problem is it's Kev, though, because we all know that. It's always the problem. We all know his tone is interesting. We know his meaning is always good, though. No, it's not.

01:23:16 - 01:23:21 | Speaker 7:

That's why he's got an evil laugh afterwards. That one. Not an evil laugh.

01:23:21 - 01:23:51 | Speaker 6:

You know he's got good attention when he says something and he goes, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha,

01:23:51 - 01:23:54 | Speaker 7:

from the guy who eats cottage cheese during the show. I'm not going to take it.

01:23:55 - 01:23:58 | Speaker 4:

Very unhealthy cottage cheese. What's up, Tabitha? Hi.

01:24:00 - 01:24:04 | Speaker 8:

Hi! Oh, my God. First time, long time. Yes, Tabitha's on the floor.

01:24:04 - 01:24:10 | Speaker 4:

Real quick, everybody's screaming. Can we keep it down a little bit? I've got a little bit of a headache. Go ahead.

01:24:10 - 01:24:23 | Speaker 8:

What's up? I don't anymore. I am all the way from the Bronx, New York. Okay. I've been listening for a very long time, but Kevin, we love you. Another thing, please don't tell people they look big.

01:24:23 - 01:24:24 | Speaker 2:

You say they look big?

01:24:24 - 01:24:32 | Speaker 8:

I'm 33. I love to cook and eat. And I really dislike when people say, oh, my gosh, you're having a baby?

01:24:32 - 01:24:36 | Speaker 4:

Oh. See, now you push the way over there. Yeah, that's bad.

01:24:36 - 01:24:38 | Speaker 5:

That is. That's next level.

01:24:38 - 01:24:41 | Speaker 4:

They say stuff like that in the Bronx. That's bad.

01:24:41 - 01:24:42 | Speaker 5:

The boogie down Bronx?

01:24:42 - 01:24:43 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. That's not good.

01:24:43 - 01:24:48 | Speaker 8:

I went up on the bus, but people get up, and they tell me, okay, have a seat. No.

01:24:48 - 01:24:53 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. Although, I will tell you, that's nice, though, that you get to see it all the time.

01:24:54 - 01:24:54 | Speaker 8:

Right.

01:24:55 - 01:24:57 | Speaker 4:

We love you, Tabitha. We love you, Tabitha. Bye.

01:25:00 - 01:25:06 | Speaker 2:

Detroit, WSNX, Muskegon, Grand Rapids, WVKS, Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:25:06 - 01:25:08 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

01:25:08 - 01:25:11 | Speaker 2:

Live. Mojo. Mojo.

01:25:26 - 01:25:28 | Speaker 1:

You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

01:25:28 - 01:25:34 | Speaker 2:

You're a doo-doo head. Let's go.

01:25:34 - 01:25:35 | Speaker 1:

It's showtime.

01:25:36 - 01:28:00 | Speaker 2:

All right. It is the Mojo in the Morning Show. Good to have you guys here. War of the Roses, just about an hour ago, busted a cheater with a three-way call, War of the Roses. He read something in her journal that she had been writing about another guy. and we ended up calling the guy that she was talking about and her while her husband was on the phone listening. We busted a cheater. You've got to listen to it. It's on podcast right now. You can go check it out right now, anywhere our podcasts are, Search Mojo in the morning. And Zach, real quick in my ear, what did you call it? What did you title it in the podcast? He saw her diary is what it's labeled as. If you don't want to listen to it on the podcast, We'll have it for you coming up in about an hour from now. So you'll hear it just after nine o'clock when we do a replay of that. Plus, we'll get you an update to coming up this hour on the show, Shannon with it's time for you to pick that college. I'll be back with the D word should never be said when you're fighting with your significant other and what the F is going on with all these cancellation policies. we will talk about that and give you a chance to win a brand new car coming up with find the five coming up this morning here on the show i felt like crap last night i had to cancel dinner i was supposed to go to dinner with uh chelsea and i were going to go to dinner with steve gabara and a friend of his and um i was it was awful i felt horrible the whole day just felt really really not great i felt kind of run down yeah and i was not great i come home and chelsea feels me she goes oh my god you feel like you're you know uh you're burning up and stuff ended up laying down and just sweat out a whole bunch so it feels so much better but i'm like kind of like on edge a little bit going god i hope i'm not catching something i hope i'm not going i knew you was off yesterday i couldn't put my finger on you just seemed a little different i uh i think that part of it is not drinking i think that has a withdrawal i think i'm having withdrawals i know i don't know no i think i caught i think i might have caught something there's something going around the studios here in the building here so yeah um all right it's mojo in the morning so uh i i know you probably hate this when people ask hey what's west's son deciding to do for college or what's

01:28:00 - 01:29:27 | Speaker 1:

he going to do next year it is the question that gives me and i know especially west so much anxiety right now because my stepson is graduating in June and he has not yet decided for sure what he's going to do and where he's going to go. And Wes and I are both type A individuals like through and through. And so when you compare it to your own experience, like I knew where I was going by Christmas of my senior year because I can remember Christmas morning opening up sweatshirts for Butler University you know I had already made that decision everything was planned out my summer was planned out I knew when I was moving in I knew the whole thing and Kieran is still evaluating all of his options he got accepted to a handful of different schools he got you know academic and athletic scholarships for different schools but he has and then he also threw around the idea of maybe I don't even know do I want to go to college maybe I want to do a trade and so we're kind of letting him just we we've we've been letting him decide but at this point on April 24th everybody's asking everybody's we're already getting the the beautiful photos and cards in the mail for graduation parties and celebrating you know this person's going to Michigan State and we want to send them off right and Wes and I are looking at each other going oh my god make a decision it is so hard as a parent to not have that to not have

01:29:27 - 01:29:35 | Speaker 2:

control over that yeah is is he is he deciding that between a couple of schools yes what is he

01:29:35 - 01:29:50 | Speaker 1:

okay yep he's trying to decide between a couple of schools okay um and it like every day i feel like it's a a different a different school or a different decision or a different path and so it's just like it is the topic of conversation in our house right now so can i tell you something

01:29:50 - 01:30:00 | Speaker 2:

though i think luke uh his decision came right around now or later because he was he was all set i'm going to um

01:30:00 - 01:30:20 | Speaker 1:

he was going to go to to university of kentucky and because he uh wasn't hearing from michigan state and then all of a sudden he got to hear from the school that he really wanted to go to and then he got it and it kind of changed things up a little bit so maybe maybe is this one of those things where he's kind of like hey i want to kind of wait a little bit just to see or is

01:30:20 - 01:30:53 | Speaker 3:

he still waiting on any schools uh he's not waiting on any schools but what's happening now is um michigan state was actually one of the schools that he just got accepted to but now what's happening is um drives me nutty but he'll he is figuring out like okay now this school is offering him a scholarship for this much money and then a week will go by and then he's like okay i'm gonna go there and then something else will come through and that is enticing to him yeah so it's just the decision is so up in the air and we want to plan you know

01:30:53 - 01:31:28 | Speaker 1:

what's the interesting about this whole thing like i look at these kids now and how different And, you know, it was, I mean, the last I feel like in and now it's starting to get even more competitive again, because for a while there, COVID, they didn't look at any of the test scores for a little bit for a few of the years. And I think now they're going I think I read just recently that the University of Michigan had the highest number of applicants that they've ever had in their school's history with the highest grade point averages and ACT scores. They had more people with a 36 or higher that... That's insanity.

01:31:28 - 01:31:29 | Speaker 3:

That's a perfect score, I think.

01:31:30 - 01:31:34 | Speaker 1:

A 36... At least it used to be. No, I think it was a 40, isn't it? Or no, is it 36?

01:31:34 - 01:31:37 | Speaker 3:

I think ACT is 36. It used to be 36.

01:31:37 - 01:31:44 | Speaker 1:

So they had more people with that high of a test score than any other year that they've ever had.

01:31:44 - 01:31:48 | Speaker 4:

There's like one girl this year who got a perfect score on the ACT. Didn't miss a question.

01:31:48 - 01:32:10 | Speaker 1:

Well, the problem is when you're competing against all that, it's tough to get into school. But then the other thing, too, is there's some kids that I have always said this, and I know a lot of kids do the gap year and some people look at that weird. I think that your first I think you should do a year of stay close to home, do like your prerequisites, kind of get your feet wet a little bit.

01:32:10 - 01:32:13 | Speaker 4:

Yes. Could not agree with your college. Yes.

01:32:14 - 01:32:25 | Speaker 1:

If they made it like if they made it like, all right, you do this for a year, we'll give you more money towards the next three years. it would probably be something that I think more people would do. But I think in, it's Karen, right?

01:32:25 - 01:32:26 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:32:26 - 01:32:34 | Speaker 1:

In Karen's case, I think you guys, he's cool. Need to chill. I think you guys, yeah.

01:32:34 - 01:32:38 | Speaker 3:

I've never seen Wes like this. He is a stressed out, anxious mess.

01:32:38 - 01:32:39 | Speaker 1:

As a dad.

01:32:40 - 01:32:43 | Speaker 3:

And secretly I am too, but as stepmom, I'm like, shut up, Shannon.

01:32:43 - 01:33:03 | Speaker 1:

Shut up. As a dad who's been there before, I think it's a lot of stress for them. It is. It's a big move, man. And this is like, you know, either, you know, some of the schools may not be around here. Like you got to do I move away from family? Yeah. Do I stay close to home? Do I even go to school? I feel like we never even talked to these kids about going to do trades or anything like that.

01:33:03 - 01:33:13 | Speaker 2:

It's all about the change in the next five to 10 years. Yeah. I hope the fact that you got to go four years to do one thing, it's kind of insane. It's stupid.

01:33:13 - 01:33:19 | Speaker 4:

The fact that we have to get $60,000 in debt for a minimum wage job is wild.

01:33:19 - 01:33:39 | Speaker 2:

I feel like these companies, man, when they start figuring out, like, say, for example, I'm working in Stanley, and I got kids coming out of high school, and I'm like, listen, I'm going to give you $100,000 a year to train and come straight to this program, sign a 10-year contract. And you hear, why would I go and be an analyst and go to school for four years and do all this crazy stuff, and I can just go to the company I want to work for anymore?

01:33:39 - 01:33:52 | Speaker 1:

But the problem is, you mentioned that as your example. How about the kid that could do HVAC or could be a mechanic? And the problem is we made those jobs look like they're not glamorous.

01:33:53 - 01:33:54 | Speaker 4:

Yep, we made it elitist.

01:33:54 - 01:34:47 | Speaker 1:

And that you had to have a college education. And a lot of people, like I didn't graduate from college, so I don't have a college diploma. But when Joe graduated, it was one of the proudest moments that Chelsea and I had. And to sit there and think, I think we made it too much. like yeah we're excited I would have rather had knowing what Joe's doing right now doing radio I would have rather had him start at a radio station at that age and and do what he was doing I think it's great that he's got his degree and I don't know what he'll ever use it for besides I don't know like to put a drink on so you don't actually have rings on your coffee table but I think that it's one of those things where it's like it doesn't make a difference for that but I know some people you know will be upset with me for saying that but I wish these kids would Steve Gabar was telling me that, you know, it was so difficult for him to try to find mechanics at Zot Ford that they're paying these guys crazy amounts of money.

01:34:48 - 01:35:04 | Speaker 4:

All of the trades. All of the trades come out of school with little to zero debt, little to zero debt. And then they're usually unions, so they're making more money than people who have college degrees. they can usually retire earlier have pension plans like it's literally so much better yeah

01:35:04 - 01:35:28 | Speaker 5:

and just just so you understand the spectrum of what is happening in my household right now we have one that we're trying to get him to figure out the rest of his life and we have one where i'm like please like let what can we do about your handwriting so that your first grade like that's where we are in our household every day it is crazy uh cohen is 19 and can give you a perspective

01:35:28 - 01:35:32 | Speaker 1:

on maybe where your stepson is. What's going on, Cohen?

01:35:33 - 01:35:54 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, so I didn't know what I wanted to do. And so, like, my junior or senior year in high school, and I knew it wasn't college. But I don't think kids that don't know what they want to do should just immediately go to college and figure it out along the way because that's just, like, a lot of money or, you know, figure it out.

01:35:54 - 01:36:31 | Speaker 4:

So there's an amazing high school in northwest Ohio. It's called Penta Career Center. I'm wondering if there's something in the area up here where your sophomore year, you do an exploratory program, and every couple of weeks, you change out the programs, and then you can pick from culinary preparation, to cosmetology school, to vet tech, to pre-med, to whatever, like construction. They have all of the trades in this one high school, and you can go from your high school to that one, and then graduate with your trade certifications. That's cool. Do you have one of those? We have something to go lightly, add a little joint lip here. They have an operational restaurant in their high school.

01:36:31 - 01:36:53 | Speaker 1:

You know what I think that Kieran should do? What? He should do like the LeBron James when he was going to go down to Miami to play for the Heat. He should do a whole thing where he gets the hats, puts them all together of the schools, and then he surprises everybody and says, I'm going to take my talents, too. You know what I mean?

01:36:53 - 01:37:11 | Speaker 5:

Well, they do that now. All these kids do signing days, and it's this big thing with the backdrop and a shirt, like a sweatshirt, and there's a social media video. But not even that. It's just for choosing where you're going. It's like a thing.

01:37:11 - 01:37:12 | Speaker 1:

Mary, what's up?

01:37:14 - 01:37:14 | Speaker 2:

Hello.

01:37:15 - 01:37:15 | Speaker 1:

Hi there, Mary.

01:37:17 - 01:37:18 | Speaker 2:

How are you?

01:37:18 - 01:37:21 | Speaker 1:

Doing okay, Mary. What's going on? What are your thoughts on this?

01:37:22 - 01:37:30 | Speaker 2:

First time, long time. Hey, there. Mary's on the phone. He's very anticipatory pauses. Very dramatic.

01:37:31 - 01:37:35 | Speaker 1:

Colin, what's going on, Mary? Hurry up. The show's over with at 1030.

01:37:35 - 01:37:36 | Speaker 2:

Where it's at?

01:37:36 - 01:37:37 | Speaker 1:

What's that?

01:37:38 - 01:37:55 | Speaker 2:

I said the trades are definitely where it's at. My son is 24. He's an electrician. We have little to no debt as far as schooling goes. He just had to work under a Mr. Electrician for four years, and then he's got his journeyman.

01:37:55 - 01:38:00 | Speaker 1:

What kind of money will he be making in his first couple years out of being in the trades?

01:38:01 - 01:38:07 | Speaker 2:

Okay, well, he went to the union and literally he made $125,000 next year.

01:38:07 - 01:38:12 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. And he's how old? 20 years old, 19 years old, something like that?

01:38:12 - 01:38:13 | Speaker 2:

24.

01:38:13 - 01:38:14 | Speaker 1:

He's 24.

01:38:14 - 01:38:21 | Speaker 2:

He made how much? Nice. And no debt. How much? No debt. And no debt. He has literally $5,000 worth of schooling debt total.

01:38:21 - 01:39:05 | Speaker 1:

I'm telling you, if you're with Smith, Smith, don't worry about handwriting. Let's go right in. No, no, no, no, we need to worry about handwriting. We're going to put Smith right into trades right now. Here's a screwdriver. If I had another kid, you know what I would do? I would never waste money on travel sports. I'd let them play, like, fun YMCA ball or something like that, and I would get them prepared to learn how to, like, screw light bulbs in or something or screw in, you know, screws. I would make, that kid would be supporting me when I'm older. I think that we screwed up our kids by saying that everybody needs a college education. And now a college education is like, okay, whatever. What are you going to do with it? I don't know. Sarah, what's up?

01:39:06 - 01:39:36 | Speaker 3:

Hey, guys. So I've been kind of waiting for like a topic like this to be discussed. So I actually went to a community college, got my agenda out of the way and everything. I took a gap year and a half to explore, like, what I more wanted to do and everything. It's so much pressure, like, going into four years and just, like, not really knowing what you want. Yeah. And it's a waste of money. But now, actually, this Sunday, I'm graduating with my bachelor's. That's incredible. Awesome. That's awesome.

01:39:37 - 01:39:38 | Speaker 1:

Good for you.

01:39:38 - 01:39:39 | Speaker 3:

Huge congratulations to you.

01:39:39 - 01:39:41 | Speaker 1:

Where did you go to school, Sarah? Where'd you end up?

01:39:42 - 01:39:45 | Speaker 3:

Eastern Michigan University for recreational therapy.

01:39:46 - 01:39:51 | Speaker 1:

Go. Oh, what is your nickname? What is your nickname? Eagles. Go Eagles. Go Eagles.

01:39:51 - 01:39:52 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:39:52 - 01:39:53 | Speaker 1:

That's great.

01:39:53 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 3:

I'm like, I push for like, I think it's great to take like a gap year or whatever it is and everything. And I feel like.

01:40:00 - 01:40:10 | Speaker 1:

it shows that you do have motivation to go back when you you know take that step i've explored so many different routes and everything and i did not know what recreational therapy was before i found

01:40:10 - 01:40:28 | Speaker 3:

it so um i 100 love it that's that's great congratulations to you um uh what uh without brian too much uh where proximity wise is it some schools far away that well i mean as far away as

01:40:28 - 01:40:33 | Speaker 5:

I think Alabama as close as I think maybe Michigan State might be the closest.

01:40:34 - 01:40:43 | Speaker 3:

Can I tell you that if I was a kid nowadays, if I was a kid nowadays, I would go to Ole Miss where the hot girl was that was fooling around with her dad.

01:40:43 - 01:40:51 | Speaker 4:

Okay, that was not true. But every time they show them SEC schools and they show them football stadiums, they put it right on the right piece.

01:40:51 - 01:41:04 | Speaker 3:

I know. You know what's funny is I wonder how many times people choose a school based on college football season or choose a school based on the NCAA March Madness brackets or something like that.

01:41:04 - 01:41:11 | Speaker 4:

I feel like Arizona State, when they used to say that was the biggest party school when I was in high school and stuff, that's the only reason I thought about going there. Story about Arizona State and the Dirty.

01:41:11 - 01:41:14 | Speaker 6:

You're going to get $200,000 in debt for that education.

01:41:14 - 01:41:25 | Speaker 3:

I know. You're paying for the experience. But you know what's funny, Megan? When Luke was looking at schools, those schools were offering more money to get Midwest kids than our schools.

01:41:25 - 01:41:38 | Speaker 5:

It was, it's actually cheaper for him to go to Alabama than to go anywhere in state. That's how much money they, that's how much money they are shelling out in scholarship money, both athletic and academic to get kids from out of state to go there. Why? Yes. I don't get it.

01:41:38 - 01:41:43 | Speaker 3:

Because you want to have a well-rounded, well-versed school that has alumni all over the place.

01:41:43 - 01:41:43 | Speaker 6:

Why?

01:41:44 - 01:42:34 | Speaker 3:

Because it's important for the future, like the school, they, they, they bring money in that way. Can I tell you, can I tell you something interesting? they in north carolina we went and visited uh down in north carolina um one of our our friends um and the kid was going to school in university north carolina they make it that you have to accept 70 of the population of the schools and missions has to be in state i think school i think michigan schools need to do that yeah and ohio schools too yeah you need to take in state first before you start taking out of state or out of country i agree with that and i think that they don't like to do that because they want to be you know like we just talked about yeah well-versed all over but also a lot of times it's more prestigious or smarter kids are coming from other places yeah i'm sorry we're paying the taxes for them they should be the ones going to

01:42:34 - 01:42:49 | Speaker 6:

the school i'm sorry i'm so nerdy i love discussions like this and i have never googled stuff like this i'm kind of surprised i thought like i just googled it right osu in state versus out of state population 70 percent of them are in-state students is that not the case in michigan i don't

01:42:49 - 01:42:53 | Speaker 3:

not at university of michigan google it real quick university of michigan university of michigan

01:42:53 - 01:43:14 | Speaker 6:

is tough to get into if you're a local kid i know that i've heard that it's one of the hardest schools like worse than harvard to try to get into uh you get it you get into central you get How about 50-50 at U of M? 50-50 is ridiculous. That's great. Like OSU is 70 versus 50. That's crazy.

01:43:14 - 01:43:23 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to run for governor. I'm announcing my candidacy after I have shoulder surgery. That's going to be my at university. Who knows? I don't know.

01:43:25 - 01:43:30 | Speaker 2:

It's only cheating if they have morals. Another War of the Roses is after 9 on Mojo in the Morning.

01:43:31 - 01:44:00 | Speaker 3:

01:44:00 - 01:44:05 | Speaker 5:

By the way, those are 100% real And quite honestly some of the nicer ones.

01:44:05 - 01:44:08 | Speaker 4:

That's where I was about to go with it. It get deeper than that.

01:44:08 - 01:44:14 | Speaker 6:

You know, somebody said I needed to check myself into rehab this week because they don't know that I just didn't wear makeup this week.

01:44:15 - 01:44:17 | Speaker 4:

When you announced you was leaving, that's why I was like, I wish it was Kevin.

01:44:19 - 01:44:23 | Speaker 6:

There's a minute for all of us. There's a minute for all of us.

01:44:24 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 3:

Can I tell you, though, when I'm watching that video, I love every minute of it because that's how I wish that you all, and when I say you all, I'm talking to Shannon, Megan, Cav, Lydia, Bianca, and Zach. Exactly. That's how you guys have to approach those. Because the famous words that were said to me one time by Steve Reynolds, who is a radio consultant, was a consultant to the show for many years. He said, never, never accept a criticism from somebody that you would never turn to for advice. Yeah. If you would never turn to somebody to get advice from somebody, you don't know them.

01:45:00 - 01:47:58 | Speaker 1:

well enough and they give you a criticism why would you okay all right thank you appreciate it some people are just hateful so go check that video out it's really funny it's funny and honestly i think it's and if one of those comments is your comment will you own up to it and just say hey that was me because i would love to hear that that's you and honestly i won't come after you and attack you because i think it's funny i'm just okay hold on um all right it's mojo in the morning so my wife and i do a thing called the we don't podcast and we just did our first episode in a long time, and it came right after we got into a fight with each other, which I think that that's when the podcast gets more real. When the We Don't podcast is done and we are, oh, everything's good, we're happy, this is all wonderful, the podcast to me is, eh, whatever, it's okay. Right after a fight where she and I were in complete silence for an hour and 17-minute drive from dropping Luke off at Michigan State to coming home to our house. She was driving and she was in control of the aux cord. She turned all the music down completely. So we had to sit in complete silence for that entire time. You know, silence is tough for me. It was very, very tough. Well, in all honesty, and just to talk about this, I am a horrible fighter and I am a horrible communicator. Chelsea is actually a plus at this. She's very, very good. She has learned over the years through her parents' relationship, but also through probably tons of TikToks and Reels that, you know what, some things are better left to not say. And I am not. I'm one of those people that I have to verbalize everything, and I honestly don't even know what I'm saying. I have to go listen back to my words to realize the things that I said. We were talking about the use of the D word. And if you're somebody that has ever fought with your significant other and have pulled out the D word in the middle of the fight, you're making a huge, huge mistake. And this is something that our therapist told us. A spouse should never use the D word divorce during an argument unless this is a serious consideration and is not being said in just anger. the reason it's harmful it opens the door for divorce and other things that potentially could come up I get that and I do it and I'm going to play for you guys a clip from the podcast so that you guys can hear this but I want to ask this question to the listeners who's in a relationship where the d-word has come up and I want to know your thoughts on this and how you guys were able to get through it but also I'd like to know what were you fighting over like what was you fighting over when all of a sudden the person said maybe we should get divorced because i'm usually the person that does that and i gotta stop doing it but i think with our cycle is this is from the

01:47:58 - 01:49:02 | Speaker 2:

podcast the we don't podcast on their fight that happens and then words are said threats are made and then it's like trying to okay because i i am just done with the and i said to you can we just not not even not say the word divorce but can we not when we're fighting does it always have to go back to like how I always say when you fight and in the sandbox I'm taking all my toys and I'm going home because it's all or nothing with you and I get you are emotional at that point and it's all or nothing and when we're upset we say things that we don't mean and but and i say things too that i don't mean so i don't want people to think that i don't i'm like sitting here this innocent girl in a corner because you're using words i just don't fight that way i i don't use hurtful words

01:49:02 - 01:50:00 | Speaker 1:

fight yeah so we we get into it more we talk about what the fight was about you can go listen to it it's the latest episode of that podcast I um I have said to Chelsea and one of the things I said to her was sometimes when we get into fights I sit there and I wonder are we meant to be together we've been together for 30 plus years why would that even be a question but then I think about that because you're in a fight with somebody that you love but somebody that at that moment you are now questioning part of the relationship and i think that you got to be really really careful and for those that are just dating the d word is we need to break up or we need to we need to separate or whatever yeah there's obviously other words that are out there right and the hardest part is coming back from stuff like that you don't forget it no you don't forget when you married um like i remember when i preached my first sermon the title was trusting what you

01:50:00 - 01:50:23 | Speaker 4:

you know and not what you're going through when you're married how do you have that perspective to trust in like the reason why you guys got to the altar and not focus on what's happening right now because that's the thing i feel like when you're dating dating gets you to the altar but like when y'all have those vows and y'all say the for better or for worse yeah the worst is like what's about to come not what you've already experienced in most cases how do you keep that

01:50:23 - 01:51:00 | Speaker 3:

perspective that's a really good question and i i would answer it from more so of a biblical perspective of but it doesn't even have to be that but like in in a faith-based discussion it's agape love you wake up every single morning and you choose to love that person let's be real sometimes it like it's there you love them it was a natural thing that got you together and got you to that point but sometimes you wake up and you very much have to make a choice of this is my person and I am choosing to love them through whatever the heck we are going through and some days that is way tougher than others but that is part of that is the commitment

01:51:00 - 01:52:32 | Speaker 1:

that you have made to one another yeah if honestly if faith wasn't in our relationship i don't think we would have been together we would have left a long time ago also if kids weren't in our relationship too and it's weird that is well the faith because belief that that we got brought together through the the faith of of a higher power and i think that because there's honestly there's times you see the ugly in somebody more so than you see the beauty in somebody when you're especially in a bad place. And I think it's kind of like, all right, God, what is, what is the reason why we are doing this? Like what is going on? And it's also the covenant of, for us realizing that we made a covenant to each other, that we're going to, we're going to be together and we're going to, you know, uh, we're going to love each other. And I think that if I didn't have a lot of things, if I didn't have faith, I probably wouldn't be here at work right now today. I'd take a sick date and go home. But I, you know what I mean? There's a lot of things. I think that kids on the other hand, and this is weird because my kids are grown. I think if kids weren't the case, I said this to Chelsea, I looked at her and I said, a lot of things that keep me together with you is knowing that if you weren't with me and I would have had somebody else with me, I'd roll over the whole time going, do you remember? And we go, Oh, you don't, you weren't there at that time that thing depresses me like it depresses me to be able to to to know that if she wasn't with me i couldn't do that oh my god you you know and i know you can start new memories with another person but those old memories would be refreshing is it tough for you it's so tough and i'll tell

01:52:32 - 01:53:05 | Speaker 3:

you second time around and wes and i actually got into a pretty a pretty deep argument recently and i was the one who said are we even compatible like maybe we should just blow this whole thing up and because i i know i can i know i can do it i know i can be by myself i've done it before and that's what's really scary and we we had to have a whole discussion of like that word we know better off the table that thought off the table it has to be yeah you're never going to be compatible with somebody all of the time well that's the thing you have to understand and

01:53:05 - 01:53:14 | Speaker 1:

honestly you have to understand that because a lot of times the first thing that you want to do is when you're not compatible is run and or when something's hard yeah or something's hard that

01:53:14 - 01:53:18 | Speaker 4:

makes me think of what shannon was saying where it's a choice at that point yeah yeah uh jay

01:53:18 - 01:53:57 | Speaker 2:

wants to be voice disguised that's your initial what's going on jay yeah so more often than not i find myself saying the words are saying asking why are we even doing this or why are you even here or should we even continue this thing and i feel like that is very relatable to the d word yeah um and it makes me feel terrible for saying so i definitely get what shannon point shannon's point is like saying things that are even closely related can often be or feel the same yeah well

01:53:57 - 01:54:23 | Speaker 1:

Well, and I have said that a lot, Jay. And let me tell you, after you say it so much, it's like, you know, picking at scabs and stuff like that. You don't, you don't, you know, it has, that word has no meaning anymore or that phrase has no meaning anymore to the person that you're in a relationship with because you're using that so much. And that's what Chelsea was explaining to me when we were talking about that. What's up, Robin?

01:54:24 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 5:

Hi. Okay, I was married for 30 years, and when we get in an argument, my husband would always say that, you know, I want a divorce, and he'd say, there's the door. And he could get me during arguments, and I would hold my cool because I know how I want to treat people. Well, then he passed away six months ago. Oh, my gosh. We didn't know who he was. I know. He had two weeks, and he's like, we just found out. He has two weeks left, and he kept apologizing. apologizing. He's sorry for the way he treated me. He's sorry for the arguments getting heated the way they did, but he was

01:55:00 - 01:55:20 | Speaker 4:

brought up that way so he thought it was okay now that he's gone i sit there why did you have to be like that why couldn't you be nicer and you regret the words so you try to learn how you communicate in your arguments because it'll linger afterwards robin i wonder linger i wonder if through therapy

01:55:20 - 01:55:25 | Speaker 1:

though you could realize that he he stuck around and he was with you because he did love you

01:55:25 - 01:55:52 | Speaker 4:

and that was just and it's true and i and i wasn't going to take therapy and now i thought no there's one at the church take it take the grief support because even though you think you're dealing with it there's things that no you're not go go get the help you need take care of it but you know when you're you're in a marriage you love that person you stay with them for better for worse but it's those words like they just linger and you gotta learn yeah wow we're so

01:55:52 - 01:55:57 | Speaker 1:

sorry thank you for sharing with us robin yeah i appreciate you what's up turner it's mojo in

01:55:57 - 01:56:39 | Speaker 2:

the morning what's going on hey first time long time hey i just want to let you know man that divorce word is bad um words have power and they have energy and in going through counseling uh you know the counselor said you know everybody thinks the grass is greener on the other side But in order to get green grass, you have to have water, which means it's going to be raining. And you also have to have fertilizer. So it has poo in it, which means some days are going to be bad. But you'll get through it. So thinking that you could be single and be out there and do it all good, yeah, the grass may look green, but all you're doing is just going into other problems.

01:56:39 - 01:57:14 | Speaker 1:

I feel like you and Kev would be great friends. You guys have great analogies. It's awesome. Right on, right on, right on. But you get it when you think about that. And I'm telling you, man, we went through some poop last week. Like we were going through some fertilizer. And you still go through it. It doesn't end right then and there. I think also the other thing, too, is I think that everything around you affects you, too. And it's not just your marriage. It's the environment. It's your work. It's your ride home from work.

01:57:14 - 01:57:18 | Speaker 4:

And your partner's always on the receiving end of that, unfortunately.

01:57:19 - 01:57:27 | Speaker 1:

Chelsea bears every bit of my injury that I'm going through right now, the changes we've had on our show, all that stuff.

01:57:27 - 01:57:28 | Speaker 3:

The voices are coming up, Nora.

01:57:28 - 01:57:32 | Speaker 1:

Hey, what's going on? What's up, Elise?

01:57:33 - 01:57:34 | Speaker 3:

Oh, hi, sorry.

01:57:34 - 01:57:37 | Speaker 1:

Whose voices were you talking about? I want to know, are you hearing voices?

01:57:38 - 01:58:51 | Speaker 3:

Well, maybe at this point in my life, I don't know. It's my little people in the backseat. Oh, what's going on? So I just wanted to say that for marriage, I grew up in a very, like, dysfunctional home, and I didn't even know what a healthy marriage looked like. So I feel like every day I'm learning how to actually live in a good, healthy marriage. But I'm always the one that when push comes to shove, I'm like, I can just leave if that's how it's going to be, and I, like, fly off the cuff and just want to go. but when i sit back and i realize you said something about like environment and things like that i i have to like strip everything away and remember like when we go away for an anniversary or it's just us like we'll go to mackinac island and we'll be there for like three days and we are obsessed with each other like i say physically emotionally mentally like it's a blast it's when you're home and you've got the four kids and we run a business every day animals and yes the everyday pile up where you're just like I don't like you can you but it's not you really can't live that way you can't you've got to be able to strip it back and say do I genuinely like this human being or is it just the scenario that we're in is it just the situation and it's that's helped me a lot to stay otherwise I can promise you it's been like peace out a long

01:58:51 - 01:59:24 | Speaker 1:

time ago well and it is interesting because I will say that Chelsea and I've had some amazing times the last you know couple of years and a lot you know gets brought on by things that happen in your family i think that yeah absence does make the heart grow fonder and i do believe that when you are like when she's not here or if i'm not here like if work keeps us away from each other and i come back i'm like oh my god i love this and when we're not together you call and miss each other and you talk to each other it's almost kind of like we need to be in different residences I don't know

01:59:24 - 01:59:31 | Speaker 3:

That's a question though Now we're on to something Do you want absence to be your consistent

01:59:31 - 01:59:51 | Speaker 1:

No You know what I mean? How can you grow in love Through absence? Well I think it's what Elise Was saying is it's those times When you're together In things that become The everyday That you've got to try to figure out How can I bring those Mackinac Island moments to that

01:59:51 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 3:

I don't believe we are meant to be with people all the time and I don't mean like relationships need to end I think people just need space and I think people have been

02:00:00 - 02:00:10 | Speaker 6:

to be together because it was a survival mechanism that we do we no longer need like you to go hunt and me to go gather and for us to come together we don't need that anymore i feel like we need

02:00:10 - 02:00:28 | Speaker 5:

we spend so much time with you know what's so funny is wes and i are kind of on the other end of this right now because you spend a lot of time apart we spend so much time apart during the week with our schedules even on the weekends so when we have like a chunk of two days that we can spend together that actually brings us closer together but that's the season of life that we're in right

02:00:28 - 02:00:41 | Speaker 6:

now but what i'm talking about is like a medium i feel like in between what you do and what other like other marriages maybe that we're talking about where you're together constantly especially since covid and people working from home i'm like i feel like people just need more space from each

02:00:41 - 02:00:53 | Speaker 4:

other yeah i think michelle has a great uh summarization i guess of this because we talked about this chelsea and i did in that podcast that we don't podcast that we just put out michelle go

02:00:53 - 02:01:01 | Speaker 3:

ahead say what you you told us i i saw a saying once that really stuck in my mind and i've been

02:01:01 - 02:01:09 | Speaker 4:

married going on 46 years now wow 46 years with the same person aren't you bored no actually you

02:01:09 - 02:01:46 | Speaker 3:

know with the emptiness syndrome now we find things to do and you know do you run around the house naked all the time well no oh okay all right we do have neighbors gardening step on our chest what's going on what would say what you what you saw okay so the saying says marriage is just two imperfect people refusing to give up on each other oh yeah yeah and i thought that was so classic because there's no perfect person there's no perfect marriage and it's easy to walk away you know it's harder to stick together but you know people do it and i think that's a great thing

02:01:46 - 02:01:54 | Speaker 4:

And should run I don't know if you saw the bottom part of that Run around the house naked Now that you don't have to worry about your kids being there

02:01:54 - 02:02:00 | Speaker 3:

Well maybe we'll try that too Try it, alright, I like that

02:02:00 - 02:02:11 | Speaker 4:

Alright Oh you do not want to see me naked right now It's awful Right now or yesterday and tomorrow

02:02:11 - 02:02:18 | Speaker 6:

The only thing worse than being stuck around the part of 696 being closed is having to pee real bad and not wanting to stop.

02:02:18 - 02:02:20 | Speaker 2:

Hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it.

02:03:02 - 02:03:08 | Speaker 4:

All right, we're uninterrupted. We got War of the Roses coming up here in just a little bit. Shannon's got the dirty for us now.

02:03:08 - 02:03:32 | Speaker 5:

So we talked about this yesterday, and now a continuation of this story, a second audio clip. has been released of ESPN host Shannon Sharp allegedly threatening to choke his ex-girlfriend, the same girl who's accusing him of rape and sexual assault and misconduct. Tony Busby is the attorney for the accuser, has released this phone conversation between his client and Shannon.

02:03:32 - 02:03:33 | Speaker 2:

Well, what, Gabby?

02:03:34 - 02:03:36 | Speaker 1:

Well, you're coming to L.A. tomorrow?

02:03:37 - 02:03:38 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

02:03:39 - 02:03:41 | Speaker 1:

Well, I don't know why you want to go out.

02:03:43 - 02:03:44 | Speaker 2:

Don't worry about it, Gabby.

02:03:44 - 02:04:02 | Speaker 1:

well okay okay what well i'm not really interested in getting choked so i guess we're going

02:04:02 - 02:04:12 | Speaker 2:

i might choke you in public big black guy chose small white woman it's not a good book

02:04:13 - 02:04:13 | Speaker 1:

Shannon?

02:04:15 - 02:04:17 | Speaker 2:

Not a good look that you do what the s*** you did to me.

02:04:19 - 02:04:20 | Speaker 1:

Okay, well...

02:04:22 - 02:04:23 | Speaker 2:

Well, what?

02:04:24 - 02:04:46 | Speaker 5:

So here are the details behind this. Tony Busby says his client was 19 years old at the time of that alleged recording. Shannon Sharp was in his 50s, and he just said he was an abusive boyfriend the entire time that this relationship was happening. Shannon Sharp's attorney's claims these audio clips are misleading because they are undated. Out of context and edited. But that's the latest development in that story.

02:04:47 - 02:04:49 | Speaker 6:

Is that still a threat what he said at the end of the day, no matter what?

02:04:50 - 02:04:55 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. You know what? I didn't know she was 19. She was 19 years old, this girl?

02:04:55 - 02:04:57 | Speaker 6:

I guess at that time. At that time. She's 21 now.

02:04:57 - 02:04:57 | Speaker 4:

She's 21.

02:04:58 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 5:

I don't know what her age is now.

02:05:00 - 02:05:02 | Speaker 4:

I'll choke you in public as a threat.

02:05:02 - 02:05:02 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:05:03 - 02:05:09 | Speaker 4:

Like, how can you take that out of context or say it was edited? What was the fight over?

02:05:09 - 02:05:29 | Speaker 6:

What were they fighting about? I had no idea. I don't see it like that. Obviously, when you put it on paper or... I feel like, again, the context is the biggest thing. My mama then told me, hell of a times I'll kill you or I'll smack the hell out of you. That's how some people talk. I don't think he actually choked her. Just her reaction, too, is, okay, Shannon. Unless she's scared.

02:05:30 - 02:05:35 | Speaker 5:

Does she say that she was choked by him? Or does she say that he's just verbally threatened to?

02:05:36 - 02:05:37 | Speaker 8:

I don't know the answer to that question.

02:05:38 - 02:05:38 | Speaker 6:

I don't know.

02:05:39 - 02:05:39 | Speaker 5:

Do we know?

02:05:39 - 02:06:01 | Speaker 6:

But that's another thing. Is there a reason why we don't seek criminal charges in these instances? How do you prove it criminally? Well, I'm saying, is there a reason why we're... I mean, I think if I'm in a situation where I've been sexually assaulted, I don't know if there was a rape allegation that was in there as well, But, like, seek actual justice, not just the check. Because in my mind, it's like, well, what are we doing?

02:06:01 - 02:06:34 | Speaker 4:

But if you don't have the evidence that it happened, which a lot of these cases don't because women are too scared to go get the evidence taken. But she got audio from two years ago? That sounds, it's a lot easier to record a phone screening than to go to a hospital and get a rape kit done. and i think that when we're talking about these situations people are saying to themselves it'll get better or they get loved bombed after this and they say oh it's fine he's sorry or whatever it is and people don't you have a a time frame and a window to collect that evidence but wasn't

02:06:34 - 02:07:11 | Speaker 5:

she wasn't the whole thing though that this was uh never going to come out because she was asking him for a million she was asking him for a no 50 million and he he said no i'll give you 10 million to keep this quiet and she goes that's not enough if you are i mean i would hope that she would have you know not choose chosen the money over the fact that she wanted justice to be done with this guy that's a lot i mean it's crazy though 50 million dollars versus 10 million dollars and they're fighting over money if the guy is a bad guy let's keep him off the streets Otherwise, let's, you know, let it go to a court of law.

02:07:11 - 02:07:20 | Speaker 8:

Screw a settlement. Jojo Siwa said she learned something big about her sexuality while she was competing on Celebrity Big Brother UK.

02:07:21 - 02:07:36 | Speaker 7:

I've met a lot of females, love them, don't feel like I'm them. Met a lot of males, love them, definitely not them. Met a lot of people in my life that are non-binary. And these beautiful non-binary people are who I feel the most like. And it's, I don't know, it's not something that I want to say about myself yet.

02:07:36 - 02:08:11 | Speaker 8:

The former Dance Moms star who's now 21 years old has always been very vocal and open about her sexuality. But she said this latest experience competing on the reality show helped her understand herself even deeper. And lastly, did you see the story about the Chainsmokers gig at Arizona State University? We were just talking about ASU. The caps rolled up to it. Well, the fraternity brothers behind this party are, they were talking to TMZ Live yesterday about it. And they said it was chaos before this thing even happened.

02:08:12 - 02:08:13 | Speaker 5:

It's at a fraternity house?

02:08:13 - 02:08:19 | Speaker 8:

It was at a, it was at the Phi Gamma, well, it was supposed to be at the Phi Gamma Delta chapter at ASU.

02:08:19 - 02:08:52 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Basically what the story, it's interesting, was with like three days out of the event, we had the first house that was all set up at, ready to go. um had a plumbing issue and flooded in the backyard and then trying to move essentially you know upwards of fifteen thousand dollars of uh sound equipment and all this stuff to another house and then 24 hours out we had to switch it and then there was a bit of a kickback from the school so we didn't really have the event confirmed until about i want to say 16 hours out

02:08:52 - 02:08:57 | Speaker 5:

this guy sound like they throw the kind of parties that luke's fraternity this thing was a big mess

02:08:57 - 02:09:14 | Speaker 8:

They got slapped, like you heard, with some citations. And I guess Alex and Drew from the Chainsmokers are now paying all of the citations that ASU slapped them with for having this huge party. 02:10:10 - 02:10:30 | Speaker 2:

let's get her into a new car please uh thank you to moran yes please please uh mojo in the morning shannon uh these cancellation policies are no joke tell the listeners what happened to you when you were trying to cancel an appointment that you had so i had made an appointment i wanted to

02:10:30 - 02:11:51 | Speaker 3:

partake in a little bit of of self-care um and so i scheduled a massage appointment for myself and i was so so excited about this appointment but you know you guys all know this i have not been feeling so hot lately as you can tell from my voice yeah i am not a smoker this is just a very very raw sore throat um well and so no for real I've never smoked a cigarette um but I I was like okay I feel kind of bad going into this place you know and they're like touching me all over they're so close to me I'm like it's probably best that I just cancel and be mindful and respectful of the massage therapist so the night before my appointment was supposed to happen I called and just said you know I out of an abundance of caution I feel like it's better for me to just cancel this appointment and I'll reschedule it another time like I really do want to come in and the woman told me that she was going to have to charge me full price for the appointment anyway as a cancellation fee and I was like okay well never mind I will just come in I'm not feeling great but maybe I'll get some rest during the appointment and she said no please don't and charged me the cancellation fee which was the full price of the appointment and I would say

02:11:51 - 02:11:57 | Speaker 2:

um this is a phone scam we will we will scam you you know what I mean like and I know that

02:11:57 - 02:12:38 | Speaker 3:

like this is I I people places hate when people cancel their appointments the day of I completely understand you are losing business and you're out that money um this was the day before and I also know and this was a piece of me being kind of miffed at having to pay for the appointment anyway this place this particular place where I had scheduled it is super super busy and they have a cancellation list that's a mile long I know this because I'm on the cancellation list so there are they could have rebooked my appointment and made that money back in about one minute but um i'm still so mad i paid for it i didn't even go they should have like a strike

02:12:38 - 02:12:51 | Speaker 1:

system because like you are now having me put you at risk of you not being able to work so i get you sick and now you're out for three days and you can't make money you would rather have that than me show up sick like well it's like you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't i was

02:12:51 - 02:13:02 | Speaker 3:

trying to do the right thing and just you know have some caution but i understand i understand where they're coming from but i'm like but couldn't it be like a 20 cancellation fee and not

02:13:02 - 02:14:11 | Speaker 2:

the whole thing it's weird i've noticed this and do any of our listeners use any of the restaurant apps like open table or there's another one called resi yeah if you use those things i've noticed that it used to be that the higher end restaurants would make you pay a fee if you were going to cancel like if you canceled they would make you pay you know a certain amount of money like per how many people you asked for that reservation because it must be that people just book a bunch of restaurants and then never show up for it and now i've noticed that even the lower not i'm saying like the you know the lower scale restaurants but i'm saying like the non you know big steak places and stuff they're doing it and they have the they have this thing now where there's one restaurant that I saw that was on there, that was on, I think it was Open Table, that wanted $50 a person that you were booking that they put on hold on your card, and they don't charge you unless you do cancel. But what was it? Not other than what? You said it. Oh. Oh. Well, it's mind-boggling to me that they do it, but I get it. They don't want you to. For sure.

02:14:12 - 02:14:13 | Speaker 3:

They don't want to get stiffed. Yeah.

02:14:13 - 02:14:24 | Speaker 2:

Your case is different. At that point right there. Yeah, that's insane. Okay, I'm sick. Well, you know what? Here's the deal. I'm going to come in and I'm going to get you sick. And if that woman's going to charge me, guess what? I'm still going to come in.

02:14:24 - 02:14:26 | Speaker 3:

But then when I said that, she goes, no, don't come in. You know what?

02:14:26 - 02:14:47 | Speaker 2:

What do you want me to do? I would have shown up. I would have shown up and said, no, I'm not going to do it. And the problem is, you know, have you guys ever tried to dispute something on your credit card these days? Your credit card company, it used to be your credit card company would believe you and that was okay. They do now what's called an investigation, AKA, they're going to make you do a ton of paperwork and hope that you never follow through on the thing. I always follow through on that stuff.

02:14:47 - 02:14:50 | Speaker 3:

I haven't had to do it in a very long time, but did you really?

02:14:50 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 2:

I got denied. I did a thing where I bought something, returned it, and it was actually Apple. I returned it to Apple, and Apple said to me that I returned it.

02:15:00 - 02:15:21 | Speaker 6:

too late for them to do it i actually sent the thing i sent back the the phone because it was a broken item sent back the phone they never credited my account but yet they scanned me and showed so i said here's my deal here's all my paperwork and they were still trying to do it so i still had to fight them on the that stinks i had to threaten to cancel my uh my credit card it's

02:15:21 - 02:15:36 | Speaker 5:

crazy at a certain point it was like we have become more we've prioritized policy over people And like when I listen to your situation, Shannon, like they have a policy that they are just forgetting about the human side of life and saying this is what we have to stick to. And that's crazy.

02:15:37 - 02:15:46 | Speaker 6:

Well, and the other thing is that the problem is that you're the victim of the people that are fakers that do this all the time. Right. What's up, Amanda? Hi.

02:15:47 - 02:16:35 | Speaker 8:

Hi, Mojo. Hi, guys. Good morning. Good morning. I can relate to what you're saying and how that is such a bummer. five years I carried around a gift card I'm not kidding five years it sat in my purse and I finally last week made the appointment to get a massage between everything that I had going on I finally had like a half day off single mom three kids teenagers really busy I end up getting called in late to work I'm a nurse I had like no choice and I called I asked if I could come in a little late or or rebook and they were just nope and charged me the full amount plus they charged me like a non-member fee so anyway long story short 130 dollars no five years of carrying this damn

02:16:35 - 02:16:40 | Speaker 6:

gift card around so that's insane that that's awful i almost feel like we should say what the

02:16:40 - 02:17:11 | Speaker 7:

places just to what's up sarah hi hi how are you first time long time um so it might just be me because i'm a little cheap but um i would have said okay well i'm gonna send somebody else in my place and then like you and then you could have gone yourself or you could have literally just called one of your girlfriends that's actually a really good idea i wish i would have thought of that i did not sarah we need you to be our our smart person That is a really good idea.

02:17:11 - 02:17:11 | Speaker 4:

Next time.

02:17:11 - 02:17:13 | Speaker 6:

Ken, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

02:17:14 - 02:17:14 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Mojo.

02:17:15 - 02:17:15 | Speaker 6:

What's going on?

02:17:16 - 02:17:20 | Speaker 4:

Just working. Just working. Getting the truck unloaded. Hey. Thanks, man.

02:17:20 - 02:17:20 | Speaker 6:

Hold on.

02:17:20 - 02:17:21 | Speaker 4:

I got it ready.

02:17:21 - 02:17:26 | Speaker 6:

Here, I'm going to give you mine here. I'm a little slow. There you go. What's happening?

02:17:28 - 02:17:29 | Speaker 4:

Yep, I'm here.

02:17:29 - 02:17:32 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. I know. What's going on?

02:17:33 - 02:17:42 | Speaker 4:

Oh, not much. I just wanted to say that you know for sure that they called the next person on that cancellation list. I know.

02:17:42 - 02:17:45 | Speaker 7:

I know. They got to double the pay.

02:17:45 - 02:17:46 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I know.

02:17:46 - 02:17:46 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

02:17:47 - 02:17:51 | Speaker 4:

As soon as they knew there was a slot open, they're like, oh, yeah, heck yeah.

02:17:51 - 02:17:52 | Speaker 7:

We got somebody.

02:17:53 - 02:17:56 | Speaker 6:

Texter 24H is texting and says, very negative show this morning.

02:17:57 - 02:17:57 | Speaker 5:

Really?

02:17:57 - 02:18:02 | Speaker 6:

So we're going to make it more positive and bust a cheater coming up next. We'll be right back. Don't go anywhere.

02:18:02 - 02:18:20 | Speaker 3:

Cheat and you'll get caught. It's the War of the Roses in Minutes on Mojo in the Morning. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning live.

02:18:22 - 02:18:37 | Speaker 6:

Paying bills. We're going to kick off. Pay your bills. $13,000 will be given away today. Listen to win. 10 after or so of the hour for a chance to win $1,000. And we'll have that for you right after this, War of the Roses.

02:18:37 - 02:18:43 | Speaker 2:

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

02:18:43 - 02:18:51 | Speaker 6:

Frank, who is it that you think your wife is cheating with? Frank? Hey, Frank?

02:18:52 - 02:18:54 | Speaker 1:

Oh, sorry, I had you on mute. Hey.

02:18:55 - 02:18:58 | Speaker 6:

No, no problem. Who is it that you think that your wife is cheating with?

02:18:58 - 02:19:02 | Speaker 1:

I mean, I'm not sure, to be honest with you. I'm assuming somebody at work.

02:19:02 - 02:19:06 | Speaker 6:

And why is that? Why are you worried about this?

02:19:07 - 02:19:25 | Speaker 1:

So I found a diary in her drawer, and there's entries from, like, just last month. And she's talking about these feelings about, you know, some feelings she's having for some guy. And something about, like, she's trying to keep her professional. She's definitely not talking about me.

02:19:25 - 02:19:33 | Speaker 6:

So you read her diary, her personal diary, that she had. Does she have any clue that you did this?

02:19:35 - 02:19:37 | Speaker 1:

No. As far as I know, I'm pretty sure she has no idea.

02:19:38 - 02:19:43 | Speaker 6:

Have you asked her about any of her coworkers before you decided to call us and try to do War of the Roses?

02:19:44 - 02:20:05 | Speaker 1:

No, I didn't want to confront her about it. I'm too scared, to be honest with you. I almost might not want to know the truth. I don't know. From everything that you have read or everything that she has written, does it seem like she has acted? upon any of these things or is it a guy at work like you presume that she just has a crush on

02:20:05 - 02:20:19 | Speaker 4:

i didn't read anything that would lead me to believe that they've you know done anything but she definitely at the very least has feelings for a guy that's not me when you say you're scared

02:20:19 - 02:20:28 | Speaker 1:

to confront her how is your marriage or do you guys communicate at all have you ever had a problem or is this the first thing that's come up in your marriage?

02:20:29 - 02:20:34 | Speaker 4:

We're in the middle of a rough patch. I'm going to be honest with you. We're not doing too hot right now.

02:20:35 - 02:20:47 | Speaker 2:

We're going to do a three-way call, War of the Roses, and you ask, how is that? How did we get this phone number of this potential guy that she works with that's the guy that she's talking about in the diary?

02:20:49 - 02:21:01 | Speaker 4:

I have my ways. It's just the guy that I expect it to be. based on, you know, where she works. I'm able to access that information.

02:21:01 - 02:21:03 | Speaker 5:

Wait, so we're not even sure that this is the guy?

02:21:05 - 02:21:09 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I mean, it's his cell phone. It's on his business card. I know, but...

02:21:09 - 02:21:12 | Speaker 1:

But you're not sure she didn't name this guy when she was writing.

02:21:15 - 02:21:17 | Speaker 2:

Did she say his name ever?

02:21:19 - 02:21:21 | Speaker 4:

No, there's no name or anything.

02:21:21 - 02:21:23 | Speaker 2:

But this is the guy that you think is the guy?

02:21:25 - 02:21:31 | Speaker 5:

this is the guy i'm assuming yeah if you're right i feel like the cia should hire you

02:21:31 - 02:22:23 | Speaker 2:

this is risky though well it's it's gonna make you either find out that your wife is cheating with this guy and you've got an amazing intuition or it's gonna be extremely awkward for her and a guy that she works with uh we're gonna do a three-way call war of the roses i need you to mute your phone and don't say a word and let's just see what they sound like when they're talking to each other thinking that they each dialed each other up all right mute your phone okay Hello?

02:22:27 - 02:22:33 | Speaker 4:

Hello? Hello?

02:22:34 - 02:22:57 | Speaker 5:

hello hello hello Terry who is this this is Paul oh hi Paul I didn't know I didn't know what was happening

02:22:57 - 02:23:01 | Speaker 3:

that was weird

02:23:01 - 02:23:02 | Speaker 5:

that was really weird

02:23:02 - 02:23:04 | Speaker 3:

Hi, what's going on?

02:23:04 - 02:23:09 | Speaker 5:

It's nice to hear from you.

02:23:09 - 02:23:15 | Speaker 3:

So, how you been doing?

02:23:15 - 02:23:25 | Speaker 5:

I guess I'm better now. I don't know. I've been okay. How are you?

02:23:25 - 02:23:40 | Speaker 3:

I'm good. I was just, uh, thinking about, um, you know, thinking about everything. Just, uh, feeling pretty good. Um, let's see what you have going on this upcoming weekend, maybe.

02:23:43 - 02:23:46 | Speaker 5:

For, uh...

02:23:46 - 02:23:50 | Speaker 3:

Just, uh, just getting together for, um, uh, to talk about...

02:23:50 - 02:24:05 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Um, yeah, I might... I might be able to, um, have some, I'd have to, um, but I, I can probably, what are you thinking?

02:24:06 - 02:24:23 | Speaker 3:

Um, okay, so, you know, if you were maybe to, I don't know, I, I, you can come over, um, we can go over and some other stuff I have put aside, um, you know, but, you know, I'll,

02:24:23 - 02:24:34 | Speaker 5:

it's obviously keeping it professional as much as possible yeah um when do you need a response

02:24:34 - 02:24:56 | Speaker 3:

by um sooner than later but um you know no pressure um i can um i can make it um you know for work i can try and make it so it's kind of like a lunch um but we can we can stay in Are you putting in Yeah

02:24:56 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 5:

Wow

02:25:00 - 02:25:10 | Speaker 3:

we are professionals and we're keeping it professional everything is uh above the boards

02:25:10 - 02:25:18 | Speaker 2:

here so i mean it's all very very yeah very professional here it doesn't sound very professional

02:25:18 - 02:25:47 | Speaker 3:

to me hello hello who's this it's your husband who the is this guy wait Terry why are you meeting up with him and what what is all this giggling and Frank let me let me talk for a second flirting I mean, you guys suck at flirting, by the way, but what is going on?

02:25:48 - 02:26:28 | Speaker 1:

Terry, this is the Mojo in the Morning Show, and your husband, Frank, called us up to see what was going on between you and a co-worker. And he thinks that you guys have something happening with each other, and obviously it seems like there is something going on with you guys. Terry, is there something going on? terry hello she's not gonna say anything i don't think she's on the phone line i think she hung up i think she i think she hung up the phone and i think that

02:26:28 - 02:26:34 | Speaker 3:

she knows she's she knows she's caught unreal dude and i know that uh he hung up well into

02:26:34 - 02:26:47 | Speaker 1:

you just jumping on and starting to uh to talk why did you why did you suspect that that was a guy that that she was uh talking about or having some kind of a thing with i i don't know i just

02:26:47 - 02:27:27 | Speaker 3:

i don't know just based on all the guys that she works with i just does she talk about him a lot at home does she bring him up a lot she's mentioned his name but she's never said anything before that would make me think that you know she liked him or anything but i just started paying attention to all the guys that she worked with the guys that she interacted with most often And and he just seemed to be, you know, a lot of the other guys are like really old or, you know, not her type or whatever. So I just assumed by the way she was describing him and talking about him, I was like, oh, this is probably the guy.

02:27:29 - 02:27:47 | Speaker 1:

We're trying to see if we can call her and him back up was what they were doing, flirting. I want to get into that as a quick discussion and find out what you guys think. Or was that them just talking about something and we were all just thinking that there was more flirting going on?

02:27:49 - 02:27:50 | Speaker 3:

They were definitely flirting.

02:27:51 - 02:27:57 | Speaker 1:

I mean, not very well. Hold on a second, Frank. This is the home of War of the Roses.

02:28:33 - 02:29:17 | Speaker 1:

war of the roses uh mojo in the morning show coming up in just a little bit update on this war of the roses but first i want to ask the question of our listeners when you're listening to these guys have their conversation this three-way call and for those that just tuned in it was a husband who suspected that his wife was cheating because he read things in a diary that she had been keeping or into a journal that she'd been writing and read her talking about another guy and we did a three-way call with somebody that he suspected that she works with that you know they could be cheating with each other do you think that it sounds like they're

02:29:17 - 02:29:35 | Speaker 4:

cheating Kristen wants to comment on that what's going on Kristen hey there my red flag was when he had said oh we'll try to keep it as professional as possible like when they were talking about her coming over. Yeah. And so that was the red flag to me. Not even talking about it. They

02:29:35 - 02:29:40 | Speaker 5:

were joking about it. It's all highly professional. Of course. Keeping it professional. We're

02:29:40 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 1:

going to look at charts. Yeah. Expense reports. By the way, you know, it's funny. We don't see faces of them, but we see our faces on the video of this, which when you see our faces of it, the funniest is we're just going like it's kind of like, you know, you taste the lemon, you ever taste the

02:30:00 - 02:30:03 | Speaker 4:

lemon you kind of look at your face that's what it's like when you're hearing them talking what's

02:30:03 - 02:30:29 | Speaker 5:

up yolanda hi hi good morning first time long time um so so many red flags the diary thing we should not be writing about a man in our diary especially if we're married obviously he's gonna find that if you guys live together Two, why are you going over this damn house? Like, what?

02:30:30 - 02:30:31 | Speaker 2:

That's not professional.

02:30:32 - 02:30:44 | Speaker 4:

I don't think they were going to the house, though. And maybe when the War of the Roses through, because the calls go on. These calls go on for way longer than what you hear. But I think that they were meeting somewhere. I think that, yeah.

02:30:44 - 02:30:46 | Speaker 5:

I think they were going to go to the house.

02:30:46 - 02:30:47 | Speaker 4:

You think so?

02:30:47 - 02:30:48 | Speaker 5:

I don't think they were going anywhere else.

02:30:48 - 02:30:53 | Speaker 4:

I couldn't get past the giggling. I was all, she might be right there.

02:30:53 - 02:30:56 | Speaker 2:

I love that Frank said it was bad flirting.

02:30:56 - 02:31:02 | Speaker 3:

I feel like they did start off, it sounded like they were going to the house, and then he mentioned using a company card. To go out.

02:31:02 - 02:31:30 | Speaker 4:

Well, and I had to bleep out a lot because the company, you could hear what the name of the company was based on the things that they're talking about, or you'll be able to put two and two together.

02:31:30 - 02:31:31 | Unknown:

So annoying.

02:31:31 - 02:31:38 | Speaker 4:

That was, yeesh. My God. Hold on. Gail wants to comment on the journal. What's up, Gail?

02:31:39 - 02:31:51 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. Where I don't condone what she did whatsoever, writing it, doing it, maybe he's deflecting because guilty people look for other people to be guilty also so that it makes them look less guilty.

02:31:51 - 02:31:52 | Speaker 4:

That's interesting.

02:31:52 - 02:31:53 | Speaker 6:

That's just my observation of it.

02:31:53 - 02:31:59 | Speaker 4:

So his suspicion is drawn by him possibly not being on the up and up.

02:31:59 - 02:32:01 | Speaker 6:

Displection is a real thing. We all see it.

02:32:01 - 02:32:05 | Speaker 4:

Well, we have seen that before in some of these things that we've done, these War of the Roses.

02:32:06 - 02:32:11 | Speaker 3:

Sometimes you just think your partner is cheating. Yeah. I mean, it's not like you were doing anything.

02:32:11 - 02:32:18 | Speaker 6:

Well, they said that they were in a rough patch too, So what makes you think that he's not seeking other people's attention in this rough patch with her?

02:32:19 - 02:32:24 | Speaker 2:

I mean, that's a big assumption. Yes. Giant leap there, Gil. But I like it.

02:32:24 - 02:32:25 | Speaker 6:

I like to leap. I like it, too.

02:32:26 - 02:32:51 | Speaker 2:

Get this girl a medal. By the way, did any of you guys watch Sex Life? I think it was on Netflix. No. A year or two ago. They had two seasons. This was kind of the premise for that show of the woman would write these, like, fantasies and recollections she had about in, in this, in her case, it was an ex boyfriend that was currently in her life again. But yeah, I mean, this is these best, this happens.

02:32:51 - 02:33:20 | Speaker 4:

I think you gotta be careful too, with the whole journaling things only because not it could get in the hands of somebody else, but sometimes when you go back and you look at your thing that you wrote down in that journal, a lot of times it was how you felt in the moment and there was probably no action that was taken on that one but you got to be really really careful of keeping those things around especially if you're in a situation where you and your spouse are not getting along like frank had told us that they had been having kind of a bad marriage what's going on uh greg

02:33:20 - 02:33:56 | Speaker 1:

hey how you doing good buddy what's happening all right so i just wanted to comment on that so what gave it away for me was when he said i'm gonna try to keep it professional as possible But then there was a whole lot of giggling going on, and I don't know if they actually did anything yet, but it's leading there. And it might have, if she's been writing about him in the diary, something is going on. She has some kind of feelings, because who will write about another man in the diary? Diaries are personal that you hold to your heart.

02:33:57 - 02:33:58 | Speaker 3:

At the bare minimum, it's emotional cheating.

02:33:59 - 02:34:15 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Yeah. Greg, are you married, dating? Yes, married 24 years. Oh, married. All right, so if you heard your wife with a guy that she works with and they're laughing like that on the phone, are you going to reach through the phone and grab that guy by the throat?

02:34:17 - 02:34:32 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, we will definitely have a conversation. Like, why are you talking to him like that? In a relationship, you should not be talking to another man on that type of level or anything like that, period. We're not grabbing the man. Whatever you could say, you could say in front of me. Exactly. Yeah.

02:34:33 - 02:34:37 | Speaker 3:

We're not grabbing a man. We're having a conversation with our wife. He's not the problem.

02:34:37 - 02:34:44 | Speaker 4:

Well, she's obviously the start of the problem because she is your wife. She should know better. He no buts.

02:34:44 - 02:34:45 | Speaker 3:

He no buts, bro.

02:34:45 - 02:34:49 | Speaker 4:

I'm still grabbing his giggle box. What's going on? How you doing, Sarah?

02:34:51 - 02:35:00 | Speaker 5:

Okay, so I hear everybody speaking on, you know, just them giggling and stuff. But at the end of the day, how I always feel about it.

02:35:00 - 02:35:30 | Speaker 6:

relationships is if he had the time to go snoop through her things and has suspicions like why not put the time into taking her out or buying her flowers like i'm pretty sure he hasn't heard her going to therapy i mean you know that yeah i mean that's right i'm not condoning cheating and especially when you're married but i feel like when there's a rough patch people always look outside to other energies instead of like putting that time back into each other well and

02:35:30 - 02:36:05 | Speaker 3:

from what i know about these guys because this has been some time but what i know is the rumor is that they are in therapy right now that they're not uh uh split apart so hopefully it does work out but you're right though if you're working this much energy into kind of being mr private investigator you know maybe you guys need to spend a little bit more time together working on this Gina, what's happening? It's Mojo in the Morning, War of the Roses. If you missed it, you've got to go listen to the podcast of this, or even better yet, go to our TikTok. Channel 955 is where we put all of it, the Channel 955 TikTok, all of the War of the Roses that we've done. What's going on?

02:36:07 - 02:36:26 | Speaker 8:

Good morning. Good morning. First time, long time. Hey. I was just going to say, going off of all the other callers, that when he said like i'm gonna keep it professional of course she literally said

02:36:26 - 02:36:43 | Speaker 3:

oh yeah like that was a giveaway yeah it was kind of like right we're gonna keep it professional you're right i mean there were there's a lot of right there's a lot of uh of little things that you can kind of read into it listening back to it and i always hear it the second or third time

02:36:43 - 02:36:53 | Speaker 7:

that i listened to it that wasn't even little to me that was so obviously very flirty but i don't It was this. It was. It was. Yeah. Like a big old wink. Yeah.

02:36:53 - 02:37:06 | Speaker 3:

But I don't hear it the first time. I think I'm looking for more specifics. You know what I mean? Like I want to hear more things that are so outright cheating that I don't hear it until I listen to it again. Kelly, what's happening?

02:37:07 - 02:37:07 | Speaker 7:

Hello, hello.

02:37:08 - 02:37:09 | Speaker 3:

Hey.

02:37:10 - 02:37:37 | Speaker 7:

Is that the first time we're here too? Oh my God, Kelly and the soul. I love it. so kelly here is fuming a little bit because let's say maybe he is taking her out and is getting her flowers and she's just a cheater cheater but also why would she flip in the flap hang up the phone if she wasn't cheating well that's always the thing when they hang up and

02:37:37 - 02:37:51 | Speaker 3:

especially the the guy that we called i don't know what his name was but the guy that we called when we called him and then he heard Frank, the husband, jump on the phone and then he just right away jumped off. Yeah.

02:37:51 - 02:38:00 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Right there. I mean, of course, I thought that before that with the flirting and all that but they hang up. It's solidified.

02:38:00 - 02:38:05 | Speaker 3:

Question for you. Why did it take you this long to call us up ever? What's going on, Kelly?

02:38:06 - 02:38:07 | Speaker 7:

I'm not sure about that.

02:38:08 - 02:38:10 | Speaker 3:

Alright. I'm not sure about that.

02:38:10 - 02:38:12 | Speaker 7:

I'm bad and mean and bad and mean.

02:38:12 - 02:38:21 | Speaker 3:

Will you do us a favor? Call us more often. Give us more calls. Keep this in your phone. Program 844-665-6548, all right?

02:38:21 - 02:38:22 | Speaker 5:

Will do.

02:38:22 - 02:38:23 | Speaker 3:

All right, appreciate it, Kelly.

02:38:25 - 02:38:29 | Speaker 1:

This is the home of the second date update. War of the Roses. The throwback throwdown.

02:38:29 - 02:38:32 | Speaker 2:

And the dirty of the 30. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:38:35 - 02:38:39 | Speaker 1:

Yep, it's hot. Thank God we have a pick of the temp from your dash to prove it.

02:38:39 - 02:38:51 | Speaker 3:

This is Mojo in the Morning. Yes. What do we got for our current temperature here? Is it starting? Oh, 62 right now. This is nice. This is when you know it's nice. This has been like a nice day high.

02:38:52 - 02:38:52 | Speaker 2:

And sunny.

02:38:53 - 02:39:14 | Speaker 3:

We usually will get this, you know, on an average April day. Today, look at this temperature. I'm looking at it today. So by noon today, it'll be 75. By 3 p.m., we will be in the 80s. We will have 80-degree temperatures. That ain't too shabby, huh? That's kind of nice.

02:39:14 - 02:39:15 | Speaker 5:

It's game day in the D, boy.

02:39:15 - 02:39:30 | Speaker 3:

That's right. A little cooler by the lake, as they say, so everybody in West Michigan a little cooler there. No, but no, game day in the D, meaning that the Pistons play tonight. That's right. And Kevin thinks that the heat is going to bring us luck, that we're going to have good.

02:39:30 - 02:39:39 | Speaker 4:

You know when they say the stars are aligning? It just feels like the universe is working in such a way that the outcome that you have desired is going to be provided.

02:39:39 - 02:39:44 | Speaker 5:

It's one of those days, man. Series side 1-1, we at LCA, it's 80 degrees. What's not the love?

02:39:46 - 02:40:23 | Speaker 3:

I like it. Can I tell you something? Tell me something. I was looking at the betting apps, and I thought this was actually kind of interesting. So I'm looking at the betting apps to see, you know, all the NBA stuff that's going on right now. I was watching a little bit of the huge. houston game uh last night it's okay and i noticed one of the betting apps i can't remember which one had which pope is going to be the pope oh my god no way yeah they had they had you could bet on who the pope was going to be hell yeah and i thought that that was actually kind of interesting because i don't know any of these guys names but it just proves to you that you can bet on anything

02:40:23 - 02:40:44 | Speaker 2:

nowadays it's a fact it's craziness well if it was something that you could bet on what do you think would be a good one? Like, I would bet if I was to go to McDonald's, are the fries going to be perfect this time or not? Is the ice cream machine going to be working? Yeah, like, what's the over-under that my fries going to rise on? Not if you go to the one by my house. You always talk about how you go to Chipotle and they don't have certain

02:40:44 - 02:40:51 | Speaker 3:

things? There you go. What's the over-under that the Chipotle and Orger Lake Road is going to be running out of chicken?

02:40:52 - 02:41:06 | Speaker 4:

Don't do the one downtown. They'll always be out of something. Is the Starbucks DoorDash every morning that comes to the radio station gonna be spilled in the bag yeah the answer is yes 100 of the time um i i want

02:41:06 - 02:41:23 | Speaker 3:

to i i want to look at this pope thing though like i want to look at that like i i kind of like the idea of betting on this thing like i almost think we should do that because it's not going to be for i think i think they're going to have the funeral for uh pope francis on saturday 10 and then i think they wait like what the what brother gary told us yesterday when he was in studio with us

02:41:23 - 02:41:24 | Speaker 4:

Talk to Brother Gary.

02:41:24 - 02:41:26 | Speaker 3:

I think they wait then.

02:41:26 - 02:41:27 | Speaker 4:

15 days.

02:41:27 - 02:41:27 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:41:27 - 02:41:30 | Speaker 4:

Has to be at least 15 days from the funeral.

02:41:30 - 02:41:37 | Speaker 3:

We're going to get to know some of these people that are the potential candidates. I think we should do a bet on the show because we bet on pretty much anything.

02:41:39 - 02:41:41 | Speaker 2:

What's my man's, what's the guy from Ghana?

02:41:42 - 02:41:57 | Speaker 4:

Here's the deal, though, with this is it's all done behind closed doors. So it's not like The Bachelor where you can have all the guys like I used to have when I would have my girls, you know, bachelor nights. You can have all the guys on the wall and then take them down as they get, you know, they don't get roses.

02:41:58 - 02:41:58 | Speaker 2:

Turkson.

02:41:59 - 02:42:04 | Speaker 3:

What would you do if all of a sudden they did this version of, what is it called again?

02:42:05 - 02:42:06 | Speaker 2:

Pop the balloon?

02:42:06 - 02:42:13 | Speaker 3:

No, the conclave. The conclave. What did they do this version of the conclave and that guy, Chris Harrison, the old bachelor guy, finally found himself a new job.

02:42:14 - 02:42:16 | Speaker 4:

Drop it. He's the guy. Or if they live streamed it.

02:42:16 - 02:42:20 | Speaker 3:

Or they used the mansion, the fake set drop of a mansion.

02:42:20 - 02:42:29 | Speaker 4:

With the driveway that's always wet. You have to do Survivor style where you read off the votes. Yeah. One vote for so-and-so. One vote for so-and-so.

02:42:29 - 02:42:32 | Speaker 3:

I'm into it. I don't know why that is. I'm just kind of into this whole thing.

02:42:32 - 02:42:50 | Speaker 2:

I asked Pastor, not Pastor. Brother. Brother Gary. I asked Brother Gary yesterday because I was really interested in if there was ever like a black pope before. Yeah. And I don't remember his answer or not, but I did my own research, and apparently there have been three. Really? Very, very, very, very, very long time ago. Really? There were three popes.

02:42:50 - 02:43:24 | Speaker 3:

have you have you heard the conspiracy about this whole thing there's a conspiracy right now or not a conspiracy but there's the thought there's only one more place up in the 16 chapel or whatever it is for a pope's head to be up there like a pope's not his actual head but like their picture and they said that this pope will be to the end of the world when the world will end and so they have this like people that are all doing this whole thing saying that this is actually kind of the times or whatever like that, which honestly scares the crap out of me.

02:43:25 - 02:43:25 | Speaker 2:

Collect your pearls.

02:43:26 - 02:43:29 | Speaker 3:

But it makes me even more so that not want to get this shoulder surgery.

02:43:31 - 02:43:44 | Speaker 2:

Get off that. What were you saying earlier? Cause I sent the meme that I saw where they said that during Pope Francis's tenure, the Pistons have never won a playoff game. And then like hours after he died, we won our first playoff game. Any truth to that?

02:43:45 - 02:43:51 | Speaker 3:

I believe so. You know, if you look at the actual date that he was chosen as Pope. Who thinks about a thing?

02:43:51 - 02:43:52 | Speaker 2:

I have no idea.

02:43:52 - 02:44:14 | Speaker 3:

I think that was a joke, though. I really do. I think that was a joke one. All right. Mojo in the morning. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. Want to win a car? Your chance right now. Qualify for Find the Fob. Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30. Maybe the Pope secretly is either a Pistons fan or not a Knicks fan. Maybe that's it.

02:44:15 - 02:44:16 | Speaker 2:

Either way, we're on top.

02:44:16 - 02:44:20 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so let's hope that that's the case. Shannon, what do you got in this hour's Dirty on the 30?

02:44:20 - 02:44:42 | Speaker 4:

Michelle Obama speaking out about why she didn't attend President Donald Trump's inauguration. And she's setting the record straight on all of these rumors. Again, on a recent episode of her podcast with her brother, Craig Robinson. The former first lady, looking beautiful, by the way. But explaining that skipping the event wasn't an easy choice, but it was the right one for her and her well-being.

02:44:42 - 02:45:54 | Speaker 1:

My decision to skip the inauguration, you know, what people don't realize or my decision to make choices at the beginning of this year that suited me were met with such ridicule and criticism like people couldn't believe that I was saying no for any. other reason that they had to assume that my marriage was falling apart yeah now years after being in the white house spotlight she says that a whole lot of therapy has helped her reclaim her identity and her peace pete davidson is opening up about his journey to remove the more than 200 tattoos that have covered his body and he called them a painful reminder of a darker chapter in his life the SNL alum said the ink reflected a time when he felt ugly struggled with addiction and he would go and get these these tattoos to cover up his pain and now he said he's feeling great he's all about starting fresh both mentally and physically and one of the standout quotes from this interview that I've read with him was he said I don't want that reminder anymore of oh yeah you were you were a drug addict like that's why you have spongebob smoking a joint tattooed on your

02:45:54 - 02:46:03 | Speaker 4:

back do you see how much money he spent on uh well these how much so far a quarter million dollars yeah it's crazy and these he's got to spend another it's not a quarter to do the rest it's

02:46:03 - 02:46:44 | Speaker 1:

like 10 ish give or take per tattoo and with when you add in the healing time it could take him like another decade before he's actually tattoo free yeah yeah wes is having that done with two of his tattoos and he said it's it's not it's not pain-free it's actually similar to laser hair removal though yeah I guess it just depends on where you are where it is on your body which is similar to laser let's talk about the Detroit Lions for a moment shall we Kirby Joseph specifically agreeing to a four-year 86 million dollar contract extension making him the highest paid safety in the

02:46:44 - 02:46:53 | Speaker 4:

Yes. Man, we spending some money, boy. Let me ask you this, though. Are they going to spend money on Jamison, or are they going to trade him? Because that's been a lot of the rumor.

02:46:53 - 02:47:00 | Speaker 3:

I feel like he's so integral to the type of offense that we have. We cannot let him go. Having that deep threat is essentially what we do.

02:47:00 - 02:47:07 | Speaker 4:

But what if in the first round tonight they draft a wide receiver? That will be a telltale sign, won't it?

02:47:07 - 02:47:19 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I think Amon Ross solidified in the slot position. You got to have that deep threat with Jamison. I think getting a big, strong, as they say, X wide receiver wouldn't be a bad thing.

02:47:19 - 02:47:21 | Speaker 4:

We need some defensive line help.

02:47:21 - 02:47:25 | Speaker 2:

He's going to get healthy. Is that guy from Zedary Smith, is he staying?

02:47:26 - 02:47:39 | Speaker 3:

No. Well, right now, the conversation amongst the Twitterverse is that he deserves more money than what we had to offer him. So they're negotiating to see if he can come back at a lower salary.

02:47:39 - 02:48:02 | Speaker 4:

I think the rumors keep going around about them picking up some big name guy, you know, that we've even been tied into. What's the guy from Pittsburgh? The lineman from Pittsburgh. J.J. Watt's brother. Yeah. T.J. Watt. There's been rumors that we want to trade with him. There's rumors that, what's his name, J.J. Peppers is another one that they keep talking about. I don't know.

02:48:03 - 02:48:10 | Speaker 1:

Green Bay tonight, the draft kicks off. We are what? We're like at the 20-something pick. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. It'll be late in the night. I don't know.

02:48:11 - 02:48:15 | Speaker 4:

I saw the ESPN piece on how they did that music. Did you ever see that at all? That?

02:48:15 - 02:48:16 | Speaker 3:

That didn't?

02:48:16 - 02:48:29 | Speaker 4:

That and I don't know. How did they do it? They basically said that they needed to have a sound to do it. And so they had a guy on a keyboard. The first one was like corny. It was like on a Casio keyboard. Well, I think that's kind of cool. I don't know why I like that one.

02:48:29 - 02:48:30 | Speaker 2:

No, I think it's corny.

02:48:30 - 02:48:39 | Speaker 4:

The first year that they did it was I think the year of Reggie Bush and those guys. they didn't do it for like the first few picks because they could not get it to play

02:48:39 - 02:48:40 | Speaker 2:

stop

02:48:40 - 02:48:42 | Speaker 4:

yeah they had issues trying to get it to play

02:48:42 - 02:48:51 | Speaker 2:

that sounds like a doorbell like my grandparents it kind of does you know what while we're talking about the draft

02:48:51 - 02:49:06 | Speaker 1:

I want to mention this really quick because I want to make sure I heard it correctly Mojo you and I listened to the same news station coming in and they were talking about the draft and they said that they're expecting about a quarter of a million people in Green Bay tonight for the draft or like throughout the duration of the draft Detroit, we had three quarters of a million people show up.

02:49:06 - 02:49:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:49:07 - 02:49:10 | Speaker 1:

Isn't that like that's a lot. That's a big difference.

02:49:10 - 02:49:10 | Speaker 3:

City, baby.

02:49:11 - 02:49:34 | Speaker 1:

And I want to hear your thoughts on this. A 26-year-old man is going viral on Reddit because he took to one of the boards to ask if he was the bad guy or a bad guy after his fiance found out the engagement ring that he gave her was not a real diamond. He explained that he recently graduated, couldn't afford a real diamond, so he chose moissanite, which...

02:49:34 - 02:49:36 | Speaker 4:

Is that a lab one? No.

02:49:36 - 02:50:13 | Speaker 1:

It's not lab. It's like a totally different gem or stone. But it's actually just as pretty as a diamond. It's just way cheaper because not one family owns all of them. He said his heart was in the right place. He wanted to give her something beautiful, but he didn't have the money. He didn't want to go broke. Well, here's the problem. He never told her. He planned to, just never really got around with it. cue the drama they go shopping for a wedding band The jeweler casually revealed that this ring is not a diamond. It's Moissanite. And his fiance was pissed, stormed out, ditched the ring, drove home. And he said he is now in the doghouse. They're still getting married. But he's like, did?

02:50:14 - 02:50:19 | Speaker 5:

You know what? My intention was good. She's all worried about if the ring is real. She's a money grabber.

No, I have three kids.

02:52:13 - 02:52:17 | Speaker 5:

Oh, jeez. Oh, my God. That's a lot of vehicle for a family there.

02:52:17 - 02:52:18 | Speaker 6:

02:52:52 - 02:52:53 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Thank you.

02:52:55 - 02:53:02 | Speaker 4:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:53:02 - 02:53:04 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Mojo? He's amazing.

02:53:04 - 02:53:05 | Speaker 4:

Live.

02:53:06 - 02:53:26 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning. It's funny how Kev says something and then does another. He's told me a couple of times, he's like, yeah, I'm done with dating. I'm not seeing girls. I'm kind of taking care of myself. I'm doing all this stuff. And then just a second ago, he goes, so I had this girl over at my house.

02:53:27 - 02:53:33 | Speaker 6:

This wasn't one of those situations. You can have people of the opposite sex over and then not be a sexual experience, right? Sure.

02:53:33 - 02:53:38 | Speaker 5:

You said, though, that you're done. And it sounded like you said you were done completely with just girls.

02:53:39 - 02:53:42 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, this isn't one of those type of situations that I was referring to.

02:53:42 - 02:53:44 | Speaker 5:

Okay, then explain to me.

02:53:44 - 02:53:55 | Speaker 6:

This is a friend. This is a friend. Okay. And my friend came over, and she ended up spending the night. And friend brought her, you know, overnight bag, because she knew she was spending the night. This was a plan.

02:53:56 - 02:53:59 | Speaker 1:

Did friend sleep in your bed, or did friend sleep in a different bed or the couch?

02:53:59 - 02:54:59 | Speaker 6:

No, friend sleep in my bed. I'm not going to let friend sleep on the couch. That's just weird. Continue with your story. Now, if it was a guy friend, yeah, he can sleep on the couch. But a female, I want to make sure she's set up properly. And the only other bed I have in the house is Josiah's. So did you sleep in Josiah's bed? No, I slept in my bed. My bed big enough for the two of us. Continue your story. Big spoon or little spoon? We didn't cuddle at all. I was on my side. She was on hers. Because she's my friend. All right. Now, my friend brought over her bag. I have silk pillows for females who come over in case they don't bring a hair wrap. Oh, that's nice. See what I mean? That's real nice. Looking out for my friends. So I got the silk pillowcase, had it all ready for her. She needed a towel, but she brought everything else to clothe and all that kind of stuff. And she wanted to take a shower. So the shower was dirty because I didn't clean it after I took another shower. So I cleaned the shower so it could be clean before she got in it. All right? Okay.

02:55:00 - 02:55:28 | Speaker 5:

So while I was at work yesterday, she left. Text me, seen on the ring cam, leave-ins, said some things, and she was off. I get back home, and now my shower is dirty from when she took her shower in the morning. What do you mean dirty? I mean, it was some dirt in there. Like hair? There was some hair in there and then like some dirt.

02:55:29 - 02:55:33 | Speaker 6:

Wait, what did she do? Play in the mud or something like that? No, what do you mean dirt?

02:55:33 - 02:55:37 | Speaker 5:

Like, y'all ever took showers and it'd been like a little dirt in the shower?

02:55:37 - 02:55:42 | Speaker 6:

So there's some remnants of something that came off of her when she was... Yeah. Okay.

02:55:42 - 02:55:49 | Speaker 5:

So in my mind, I feel like I cleaned the shower for you. You should have cleaned the shower when you left.

02:55:49 - 02:56:05 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely not. So actually, I kind of agree with Kev here. If you... It's the hair thing for me. Hair is different than dirt. You got to get rid of the hair. You cannot leave your hair on the wall, on the floor. I really do think that's gross. She should have done that. I agree with her.

02:56:05 - 02:56:08 | Speaker 5:

You say dirt is different. Yeah. How is dirt different?

02:56:08 - 02:56:12 | Speaker 3:

Because I used a shower. I'm not cleaning your shower.

02:56:12 - 02:56:18 | Speaker 5:

So you wanted the shower cleaned before you got into it. Why wouldn't you clean it for the next person to get into it?

02:56:18 - 02:56:23 | Speaker 3:

Because I'm your guest. It's the same thing like when you come over to my house and I cook for you, I don't expect you to do the dishes.

02:56:24 - 02:56:30 | Speaker 4:

When you say clean the shower, do you mean like for her to get out the Clorox spray or the Tylex and all that stuff?

02:56:30 - 02:56:31 | Speaker 5:

Pop off the Ajax or whatever.

02:56:31 - 02:56:35 | Speaker 6:

Oh, see, I disagree with that. Or just rinse it. Why doesn't she just rinse the stuff down?

02:56:35 - 02:56:39 | Speaker 5:

There we go. I got a shower here. You can pull that boy off so you can like aim it.

02:56:39 - 02:56:43 | Speaker 4:

I just wouldn't want to leave a mess because I wouldn't want you to think that I was a disgusting person. Correct.

02:56:44 - 02:57:14 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. So let's go back here real quick. And you tell us your thoughts on this if you'd like to at 844-MOJO-LIVE. i don't have any girls that are hanging i don't want any girls around i'm done with girls i'm hanging out with girls i got this friend this female friend you can have friends we sleep in the same bed together she brings an overnight bag to hang out at your house she takes showers in your place what are you doing your friends don't do that why are you having slumber parties y'all

02:57:14 - 02:57:19 | Speaker 5:

don't have friends come on you and john tallenger you and my guy that wants to play naked water

02:57:19 - 02:57:25 | Speaker 6:

polo no no that was that was there's nothing naked that was amari he had he has the the water

02:57:25 - 02:57:31 | Speaker 5:

basketball games at his house no here's the thing when your friends come over they they can't take

02:57:31 - 02:57:51 | Speaker 6:

a shower in your house no well no they can take showers at my but when i say if i said if i was single and i said i'm done with dating i'm done girls i'm not even having the temptation because the problem with him is these girls he's lots of girlfriends girls that come over and are friends He also tries to smash some of these friends, too.

02:57:52 - 02:57:59 | Speaker 4:

Yes. Just so you know, the shower, he doesn't care about that part of the story. I don't care about the shower. Just making sure you understand that.

02:58:00 - 02:58:05 | Speaker 3:

I have more analogies to make my point, but he wants to focus on the girls now. I see you're here now.

02:58:05 - 02:58:09 | Speaker 6:

He said that he gave up girls. All right, go ahead with the shower. She should have cleaned the shower.

02:58:09 - 02:58:16 | Speaker 5:

This is my friend. She should have cleaned the shower. What's wrong with having a friend come over that wants to spend time with you and talk to you? Did you get naked?

02:58:16 - 02:58:25 | Speaker 6:

Let's just focus on the shower. Let's not focus on the fact that he's given up girls and he's had this girl sleeping in his bed with him. Let's focus on the shower, Joel. What are your thoughts on this whole thing?

02:58:27 - 02:58:46 | Speaker 1:

So I'm with Kevin on this. No? Yeah, yeah, my skin's more melanated. So when we shower, you know that dead skin and that dirt from the day, it's visible in the shower. So when you leave it on that white porcelain tub, right, you just got a ring around the tub. My grandma used to Ajax after every shower after the bath.

02:58:47 - 02:58:48 | Speaker 3:

Maybe that's what's different here.

02:58:48 - 02:58:55 | Speaker 4:

She should have, but to expect your guest to, like, go wherever you keep cleaning supplies and get that stuff in a scrubber and do it.

02:58:56 - 02:59:09 | Speaker 3:

It is wild. Because it's like if I have people come stay the night and they stay in a bed, I don't expect you. It's nice when you make the bed. I don't expect you to wash the sheets. Like, do a load of laundry.

02:59:11 - 02:59:16 | Speaker 1:

Run the water around the tub. That's all it is. You don't have to rub it. He said scrub it.

02:59:17 - 02:59:25 | Speaker 5:

I'm saying get the dirt out. I don't care how you do it. Get the dirt out. Now she did make the bid.

02:59:26 - 02:59:27 | Speaker 6:

Thanks, Joel.

02:59:27 - 02:59:28 | Speaker 4:

Which is nice.

02:59:28 - 02:59:29 | Speaker 6:

Roberta.

02:59:29 - 02:59:31 | Speaker 4:

Maybe she wasn't aware that she left the shower dirty.

02:59:31 - 02:59:32 | Speaker 6:

Roberta, what's up?

02:59:35 - 02:59:35 | Unknown:

Hi.

02:59:35 - 02:59:36 | Speaker 6:

Hi, Roberta.

02:59:37 - 02:59:38 | Speaker 2:

How are you?

02:59:39 - 02:59:41 | Speaker 6:

Fantastic. What's going on? What are your thoughts on this?

02:59:41 - 02:59:56 | Speaker 2:

my thoughts is isn't her lotion or oil that she put on herself and that's what rinsed up and that left left the debris behind and as far as hair that is girl she should grab a tissue and wipe that and be glad that she didn't rinse it down because that could have clogged her drain that

02:59:56 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 6:

you know you know what this is the equivalent of flushing the toilet

03:00:00 - 03:00:06 | Speaker 5:

and not looking back to make sure everything went down. I think she needed a double flush on this one here.

03:00:06 - 03:00:10 | Speaker 3:

But if she uses her toilet, does she need to grab the Clorox and then scrub it down?

03:00:11 - 03:00:14 | Speaker 5:

If you leave something on it, I would hope you would. What's up, Ashton?

03:00:16 - 03:00:27 | Speaker 7:

How you doing? I was just calling to touch on the one subject about the friends spending the night. I have two girlfriends, and we're totally platonic, and they stay over all the time.

03:00:27 - 03:00:28 | Speaker 5:

And sleep in your back?

03:00:28 - 03:00:32 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I let them have my bed, and I just sleep.

03:00:32 - 03:00:36 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, Cap's not giving up his bed. Come on, bro, we work too hard. Are you interested?

03:00:36 - 03:00:37 | Speaker 7:

I need a good night's sleep.

03:00:37 - 03:00:38 | Speaker 1:

Are you interested in women?

03:00:40 - 03:00:52 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, of course. I love women. They're just friends. We've been friends for so long. It's just kind of hard to see myself being in that way with them. Gotcha.

03:00:53 - 03:00:59 | Speaker 5:

Okay, if she left dirt in the shower, did she leave dirt on your sheets, too? Did you look at your sheets to see if the sheets were dirty?

03:01:00 - 03:01:02 | Speaker 7:

She did not leave visible dirt on the sheets.

03:01:02 - 03:01:08 | Speaker 5:

Because I'm wondering if there's dirt in the shower and she slept on that bed, then she... What's up, Josh? Hi.

03:01:10 - 03:01:25 | Speaker 6:

Hi. First time, long time. Hey, Josh. I just wanted to say that, like, if I get into somebody else's shower, like, if I'm visiting family or something, and there's, like, a big old hairball, like, that just needs to go. That's so gross.

03:01:25 - 03:01:27 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Like tumbleweed. Yeah. Have you ever done that?

03:01:27 - 03:01:30 | Speaker 6:

You need to get rid of that, and you need to clean the shower.

03:01:31 - 03:01:47 | Speaker 5:

When I go over to friends' houses, and their bathroom that I use has a shower attached to it. If I look in the shower, and there's hair and stuff in there, too, I'm like, I don't know, it is gross. Anna, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. What's going on, Anna?

03:01:48 - 03:02:11 | Speaker 1:

Hey, I agree with Kevin. When I invite somebody over to my house, I clean up my bathroom. So when you take a shower, I expect you to clean it up. When you use the bathroom, I want you to make sure everything goes down. And I have a plunger. I have Ajax and everything inside the bathroom available to you. So that's how I was brought up. Whenever we took a shower, we had to clean it out. Yes. When it was clean and dirty. So that's just my personal opinion.

03:02:11 - 03:02:19 | Speaker 5:

Hey, question for you. Do you have any guy friends of yours that you share bed with that you go over to their house?

03:02:20 - 03:02:22 | Speaker 1:

No, because I don't have no self-control. Stop.

03:02:23 - 03:02:52 | Speaker 5:

I don't think Kevin does either. With this one, I do. I'm telling you. What is it about her that gives you self-control? That's my friend. That's your friend. I don't believe in this guy. You're trying to find something that isn't there. Yeah. I don't know. Well, I just think it's so funny that you're like, I've got to clear my head. I'm done for this for a while. No lies have been told. Are you still talking to some of the other people, though, that you were with, like the prayer girl and all the rest of those? Pistons and Five.

Oh, my God.

03:04:10 - 03:04:11 | Unknown:

Oh.

03:04:11 - 03:04:12 | Speaker 5:

Uh-oh.

24 hours. I'll tell you what. Oh, my God.

03:04:34 - 03:04:39 | Speaker 3:

She didn't get me over the head. She's like, I'm not tall enough. Can we do it again? I said, no. No.

03:04:39 - 03:04:42 | Speaker 5:

So what is this for now? It's not ALS, huh? It's something else?

03:04:42 - 03:04:59 | Speaker 3:

It is not for ALS. So it is for the it's to raise awareness for mental health. And it started over at USC, the University of Southern California. So, yes, it's called the it's called it's called the USC.

03:05:00 - 03:05:04 | Speaker 7:

mind challenge um and they're encouraging donations to an organization called active

03:05:04 - 03:05:09 | Speaker 3:

minds can we just make donations and if you're gonna if you're looking for warm weather today

03:05:09 - 03:05:31 | Speaker 7:

you can just make make a donation but i i love that this time around especially because i i see it going around like elementary middle and high school kids like for the past two weeks or so and to to de-stigmatize you know mental health issues and to kind of provide more awareness i love that that is the cause for especially that age group i think that's really important i agree

03:05:31 - 03:05:38 | Speaker 4:

but do you think als is a little bit pissed oh that they their idea got stolen i never saw it

03:05:38 - 03:06:09 | Speaker 3:

before i think right then they they came up with it right they came up with that idea uh all right couple trending stories uh that are out i want to get to uh this story is a big story it was a big story yesterday that Trump wants to pay you to have babies. The Trump administration is looking to offer $5,000 baby bonuses as incentives to try to get the population to grow since the

03:06:09 - 03:06:21 | Speaker 2:

birth rate has gone down. The Trump administration is considering ways to encourage more women to get married and have children, including a $5,000 baby bonus.

03:06:21 - 03:06:22 | Speaker 3:

Sounds like a good idea to me.

03:06:23 - 03:06:45 | Speaker 2:

The money would be offered to every American mother after she gives birth, an incentive aimed at increasing the country's historically low birth rate, which has declined since 2007. That year, approximately 4.3 million babies were born, compared to 3.6 million last year. Since taking office, the administration has made an effort to promote families.

03:06:46 - 03:06:51 | Speaker 1:

So let me say very simply, I want more babies in the United States of America.

03:06:52 - 03:06:57 | Speaker 2:

Simone Collins is a pro-natalist, pushing for ways to make it easier for people to have kids.

03:06:58 - 03:07:09 | Speaker 6:

As much as I personally love the idea of getting $5,000 for another kid, it's not going to move the needle, and it's certainly not going to be enough for parents to decide that they can have that next kid or their first kid.

03:07:09 - 03:07:31 | Speaker 2:

Instead, she says there are simpler and cheaper ways the government can ease the burden on parents, such as loosening regulations on daycare programs and car seats. Collins and her husband have submitted several draft executive orders to the White House, including one that would give a National Medal of Motherhood to women with six or more children.

03:07:31 - 03:07:39 | Speaker 6:

We don't want to shame or coerce anyone into having children. It's really a movement about making it easier for people who really like having kids to have

03:07:39 - 03:07:55 | Speaker 3:

the number of kids they want. Interesting. A lot of people opposed to it. Obviously, the ladies of The View were upset about this $5,000 baby. And I want to know who's making them. And so when I looked into that,

03:07:56 - 03:08:40 | Speaker 5:

they're saying that the U.S. birth rate is declining. However, in 2024, there was a 1% increase in U.S. births, but that increase was with Hispanic mothers and Asian mothers. So they don't seem to be concerned about that increase. They seem to be more concerned about a decrease in other populations. Say it. No, I think I said it not. It's not based on those. And so, well, it's just based on a study. And so the other thing I will say, that anywhere i mean i feel like yeah it's just it's just it's fair to home it's just have they said that this is to target only white families oh i didn't say that you have to read

03:08:40 - 03:08:58 | Speaker 3:

between the lines so interesting interestingly enough i think that the woman that was in that news clip had it right i think that if you try to come up with a more of an incentive that it doesn't cost you so much to have kids yeah like where you help out with the child care i mean

03:08:58 - 03:09:11 | Speaker 7:

the lack of affordable quality child care is such a huge barrier for women thinking about becoming parents also the number one barrier for women in the workforce i mean you know that's that's such

03:09:11 - 03:09:16 | Speaker 4:

a huge thing in this country and the other problem with it is the problematic history of awarding

03:09:16 - 03:09:35 | Speaker 3:

medals to women for having children well they do and they have given tax breaks for you if you have children that you get more money off your taxes so this is not like it's uncommon that there is a financial more of a financial benefit for those that have kids that don't have kids this one is

03:09:35 - 03:09:43 | Speaker 7:

outright just coming out i didn't realize that the birth rate had gone down so much and when i hear that anybody else who watches handmaid's tale just like puts me on a little bit of an alert

03:09:43 - 03:09:53 | Speaker 3:

but that that one is was it what was the story wasn't in the story than the handmaid's tale uh without giving away too much information that they they weren't the ones having the babies

03:09:53 - 03:09:59 | Speaker 7:

though they were making these women women were increasingly becoming infertile interesting points

03:10:00 - 03:10:24 | Speaker 1:

Well, we're giving away babies. We're actually giving you basically babies for free with IVF Michigan in the Ohio Fertility Center if you would like to have babies. Have a baby. Have our babies. Did you guys hear this? Nearly 400 of these were left behind on a plane in the past year. Do you know what these is?

03:10:24 - 03:10:27 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to guess phones. No, I'm guessing they're toys, adult toys.

03:10:28 - 03:10:45 | Speaker 1:

Phones, toys, what did you say? Uh, AirPods. That's a good guess. That's a good guess. Wedding rings. Nearly 400 wedding rings are left behind on a plane, which is wild because I'm thinking to myself, you know, why is your wedding ring on a plane?

03:10:45 - 03:10:58 | Speaker 2:

I bet I can guess why. It's become a huge trend is like taking care of yourself during the flight, like putting your hair in a curl or is doing a skincare routine. Oh, lotion. I bet it's girls taking off their rings to put on lotion and forgetting to put them back on.

03:10:58 - 03:11:59 | Speaker 1:

it's interesting uh that that is one of i bet you the other things that you guys said well i think airpods probably even probably maybe more than 400 but i'd love to know i don't know if any of our listeners have ever lost their wedding ring where's the craziest place you lost your wedding ring because there's nothing worse than when you lose your wedding ring or don't remember where you put it trying to figure out if you can't find it how to explain that to right uh speaking of uh speaking of planes uh could you uh would you accept thousands of dollars to get off a plane one delta passenger turned a holiday travel hassle into three thousand dollar hell yeah dude it happened over easter there was a lot of chaos and the person on reddit said that there was a packed delta flight from chicago to seattle when the gate agent quietly offered $3,000 to anyone who is willing to give up their seat due to a fueling rebalance issue. Take mine as soon as you say issue.

03:11:59 - 03:12:00 | Speaker 3:

$3,000?

03:12:02 - 03:12:20 | Speaker 1:

Travelers didn't hesitate. They all shot up to the front and said, I want to do it. Delta handed out two vouchers, one for $2,000, the other for $1,000 because they were oversold. I've been one time on a plane where they offered $1,000 And it was a flight to Miami.

03:12:20 - 03:12:22 | Speaker 3:

That was the most I've ever heard. Wow.

03:12:23 - 03:12:52 | Speaker 1:

This is interesting. Can you relate to this? Married couples don't like to sit on flights together. Couples, as we'll say, they prefer to sit separate. Travel advisor Nadia Henry from something called Sparkle said that this is now the new big thing. While couples sometimes want to sit side by side, a lot of couples don't want to do that. They want to sit separate. So one will choose the aisle seat, one will choose the window seat, and they'll leave something in between them. Because they don't want to be married.

03:12:52 - 03:12:56 | Speaker 2:

Or are they doing this so that they hope the middle seat doesn't sell?

03:12:57 - 03:13:06 | Speaker 1:

But every flight seems like it's got something sold, and now you have the risk of having somebody that might be, I don't know, a bigger dude or bigger lady sitting next to you.

03:13:06 - 03:13:08 | Speaker 2:

But then you swap. One of you swaps.

03:13:09 - 03:13:25 | Speaker 1:

Then you've got to figure out who's the one that swaps. Who draws the short straw on that one? I have to tell you, I think as far as planes go, the best option is sitting across the aisle from each other. I know sitting next to each other is kind of nice. But if you sit and both get aisle seats, you get more leg room on that case.

03:13:26 - 03:13:31 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I like to sit right next to Wes because I use his shoulder. I fall asleep as soon as I sit down. I don't want that to be a stranger.

03:13:32 - 03:14:10 | Speaker 1:

Today is the day that should be a quiet day for couples. Couples fighting happens less on a Thursday than any other day of the week, according to researchers at the University of Iowa. They terrorized because Wednesday is the farthest day from the weekend. That's actually one of the biggest fighting days. While Thursdays, getting closer to the weekend, means that you're more in a lighthearted mode. That you actually don't necessarily feel like you need to get into too much heavy stuff. It's interesting because I feel like Thursday nights to me seem like it's more relaxing for me.

03:14:10 - 03:14:14 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's because you know tomorrow is Friday. Yeah. Friday shows are fun. The weekend's coming.

03:14:14 - 03:14:34 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I kind of always, like, feel like that's the thing for me. Like, I feel like I'm going to, like, I'm not going to get myself caught up in something that's too crazy. And as far as the texts are concerned, we just got some texts here about where you lost your ring. It's amazing how many people say that their spouse lost their ring in a strip club.

03:14:34 - 03:14:35 | Speaker 3:

Now, come on.

03:14:35 - 03:14:59 | Speaker 1:

Like, that to me is, oh, like, three text messages. See, we might have to do this as a topic tomorrow. I need to hear some of these stories. See where they lost them. Brent, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning. Hi. Hey, good morning. First time, long time. You're a happy one, Brent. What's going on? Well, I'm at work cutting vegetables and fish. I run a little sushi place.

03:15:00 - 03:15:02 | Speaker 3:

I want to say about losing my wedding ring. Uh-oh.

03:15:02 - 03:15:03 | Speaker 7:

Where'd you lose it?

03:15:04 - 03:15:24 | Speaker 3:

So I got married down in the Virgin Islands, and we went to this, like, all-inclusive place to get married, and then we stayed somewhere else. But we got drunk the second day after getting married, and we swam back to the all-inclusive resort, and while snorkeling, my ring fell off. No. So I had it for almost a day. Hey.

03:15:24 - 03:15:34 | Speaker 7:

I've heard that happen a lot. A lot of times people lose it on their honeymoon. A lot of times it doesn't fit right. That's one of the biggest reasons, but also you're more active and you're doing stuff outside with water sports and things like that.

03:15:35 - 03:15:37 | Speaker 3:

Water sports and a lot of alcohol.

03:15:38 - 03:15:48 | Speaker 7:

Thank God you were with your lovely bride. Otherwise, you would have been screwed. If you lost that thing on your post-honeymoon bachelor party, that would have not been a good situation, right?

03:15:49 - 03:15:54 | Speaker 3:

That would not have been good, no. It was a good time. I just had to get a new ring when I got back.

03:15:55 - 03:16:17 | Speaker 7:

Men's rings are such a waste of money. They really are. They're expensive as hell. I'm telling you, if you think about this, don't get an aura ring or one of those things that actually gives you something else to do with it. I'm telling you, that's what I decided to do. And at least I'm wearing it for a purpose because I think guys that wear multiple rings anyway kind of seem a little weird.

03:16:17 - 03:16:19 | Speaker 6:

The new thing is wedding watches.

03:16:20 - 03:16:20 | Speaker 7:

Really?

03:16:21 - 03:16:23 | Speaker 6:

Really? I kind of like that. I do like that too.

03:16:23 - 03:16:27 | Speaker 7:

Or necklaces. What do you think about a necklace or something? I'm not a big necklace guy.

03:16:27 - 03:16:28 | Speaker 6:

Bracelet?

03:16:28 - 03:16:30 | Speaker 7:

Right now, I wear what would you hear?

03:16:31 - 03:16:31 | Speaker 6:

That's all I do.

03:16:31 - 03:16:32 | Speaker 7:

How about a nose ring?

03:16:33 - 03:16:48 | Speaker 6:

Not my speed. I'm going to say that for Tupac. How about a ring in a Daniel? If it's an NBA championship. If the Pistons win a championship, there are reports that I will be getting a version. That would be amazing. Are you serious?

03:16:49 - 03:16:51 | Speaker 4:

So cool. That is really incredible.

03:16:52 - 03:16:56 | Speaker 7:

Buddy, that'd be great. Go get that crowd going tonight. You, Mason, the entire crew.

03:16:56 - 03:16:58 | Speaker 3:

If you see Cab, if you're going to the game, make sure you say hi.

03:16:58 - 03:17:06 | Speaker 7:

Go Pistons. Have a great day. We'll see you tomorrow. 20 plus years of idiocy and still going in Detroit, Toledo, and West Michigan.

03:17:07 - 03:17:08 | Speaker 6:
