00:10:55 - 00:12:37 | Speaker 3:

get me to this weekend please oh welcome to the mojo the mojo in the morning show this is the mojo mojo in the morning show i don't know why i'm pointing to my lions logo on shannon's video right now but the lions draft last night a lot of people were wondering about that i don't know if it was a good or a bad one we'll talk more about it coming up this morning but This is the Mojo, Mojo in the Morning Show. Guys, weekend here, throwback throwdown coming up this morning. Dirty on the 35 at 655. Taylor Swift at Sharon Tickets coming up. Oh, it's our Mojo's Only Fans contest today. Wait until you hear a Mojo in the Morning listener get paid to go potty. That will happen this morning and have to entertain you guys on our Facebook Live by reading a book called Everyone Poops. So that's happening. KP's got an interesting weekend. We were just talking off the air about this. KP is our producer. She's 20, what are you, three years old, right? Four years old. 24 years old. She lives with her grandma and grandpa who are wintertime snowboarding down in Florida. They go down to beautiful, sunny, warm Florida. And they're coming back after being gone for months. And now KP is frantically trying to figure out how she's going to get the house cleaned in time to have them come back.

00:12:37 - 00:12:57 | Speaker 4:

Wait, is it a mess? It's not a disaster, but it's a mess. It's funny because my grandma told me she was coming home Sunday, and I get this text yesterday. She's like, I'm coming home tomorrow. And I'm like, oh my gosh, I have to clean the entire place in less than 12 hours because I work for half the day.

00:12:57 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 3:

Wait a second, so she decided to move it up a little bit? Yes. Did she not see the weather forecast?

00:13:01 - 00:13:26 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no. I don't know. And it's funny because I typically get a little upset with them because they like to drive from Florida to Michigan without stopping or sleeping. They stop to go get McDonald's because old people love McDonald's and then take the dog out, but they don't. Wait, wait. Why did you drag old people who like McDonald's? No, she's actually right. She's right. They always have the coupons. They're like, oh, you want a Big Mac? It's because they get the coffee for a discount.

00:13:27 - 00:13:36 | Speaker 3:

We can get two meals for one. I'm like, okay. Stop, stop. They drive straight through from Florida to Michigan.

00:13:36 - 00:13:45 | Speaker 4:

Yes. I feel like my Gramps takes it as a challenge. And I'm sorry Y'all are in their 80s I feel like you've had enough challenges

00:13:45 - 00:13:50 | Speaker 3:

Aren't 80 year old grandpas and grandmas Like sleepy people Don't they take naps all the time

00:13:50 - 00:14:57 | Speaker 4:

No my grandpa had surgery He takes Adderall doesn't he No he does not He should because I honestly think that's where I got my ADHD But he had surgery a couple weeks ago And couldn't drive And they are just He's still go go go They built houses growing up My grandpa's always working on projects. He's in remission for Hodgkin's lymphoma, and he's still going, going, going. Oh, good for him. They're amazing. Anyway, I realized last night that they had stopped at a hotel, and I was like, oh. So we are listening to KP now and not driving the entire night all the way through, and it's good for me because it gives me more time to clean the toilet because I have not dusted or done anything wait like a month have you kept that basil plant alive no i haven't so much you better go get a replacement i know yeah and i just know that as soon as they come home everything that i quote unquote cleaned is gonna get re-cleaned so that's great yeah

00:14:57 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 3:

you by the way you know this reminds me of remember when you're

00:15:00 - 00:15:16 | Speaker 1:

parents would go away for the weekend and you would have like friends over or you know you could have like friends over like on even on your parents like at work and you had to clean up before they came home and then they called you and said they were coming home earlier oh that's awful or

00:15:16 - 00:15:21 | Speaker 4:

when mom tells you to take the frozen chicken out of the freezer and then you realize you never did

00:15:21 - 00:15:28 | Speaker 3:

yeah microwave microwave no no no no you put it in cold water with water running

00:15:28 - 00:15:32 | Speaker 1:

Oh, is that really? It actually makes sense. Wait, I did not know that. Hold on. Grandma, is that right?

00:15:32 - 00:15:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Thank you, Grandma. Oh, God.

00:15:34 - 00:15:35 | Speaker 1:

We appreciate that.

00:15:35 - 00:15:37 | Speaker 3:

Talk about somebody who was young in her 80s.

00:15:38 - 00:15:39 | Speaker 1:

But she would never drive.

00:15:39 - 00:15:43 | Speaker 3:

We would find her making out in the bench at the park with her boyfriend. Oh, really? Really? Yes.

00:15:44 - 00:16:17 | Speaker 1:

Shani's granny was fun. She was frisky. But she would never drive all the way through to Florida in one day. That's unbelievable. Yeah. I have done that drive once as a little kid, and all I remember is how miserable it was. Chelsea's done that drive a couple of times Like in the last couple years since Joe's moved down there She's had to stop off like in Atlanta Or North Carolina or something like that Just to kind of get a night's rest That's amazing that your 80 plus year old grandparents Drive straight through And they don't switch drivers, right? Because grandma doesn't drive that much

00:16:17 - 00:16:21 | Speaker 4:

No, grandma doesn't like grandma drive Oh my god Yeah, and they do that with a dog

00:16:21 - 00:16:23 | Speaker 1:

Stay off of 75, by the way, everybody

00:16:23 - 00:16:26 | Speaker 4:

Where the Penrose grandparents are on the road

00:16:26 - 00:16:31 | Speaker 1:

Holy Christ Oh, my God. So grandma's coming back. Are you excited about this? Yes. Okay, you are.

00:16:32 - 00:16:32 | Speaker 4:

I can't do it anymore.

00:16:33 - 00:16:33 | Speaker 1:

Your privacy?

00:16:34 - 00:16:36 | Speaker 4:

I don't care about that. I mean, they give me privacy.

00:16:36 - 00:16:39 | Speaker 1:

What is it that you want them home for?

00:16:39 - 00:17:07 | Speaker 4:

To cure my loneliness. Aww. I love them. And I've said this before on the air. I don't like being alone. I hate it. It's like my least favorite thing is not having people around me. Because I grew up with, you know, I'm the oldest of six kids. And then all through college, I lived with roommates. I had, you know, four or five roommates and living alone has just never been something I like. And having them with me, even though they, you know, they're old and they're my grandparents, I still love them and I love having their company.

00:17:08 - 00:17:15 | Speaker 1:

By the way, for those who don't know this, KP's grandparents and KP live in a senior living area. Why don't you invite some of the old folks?

00:17:15 - 00:17:43 | Speaker 4:

You know what? It's funny you mention that because all of winter I haven't seen a single old person and I feel like they're inside. And then yesterday, I, my neighbor right next door was sweeping her driveway and I have not seen her since literally like. Maybe they're all down in Florida and they all decide. I know. The villages. I know. And I'm like, wow, you guys. Nice to see y'all again. And she's like, hi, Kristen. Instagram parents coming home. And I'm like, actually tomorrow, Janet, nice to see you. Hi, Janet. Janet.

00:17:43 - 00:18:04 | Speaker 1:

That's the perfect name. Hi, Edna. By the way, does it not appeal to you at all? Like when you hear this and you know that, you know, Shannon, that she's living with her grandparents, doesn't it make you think that, oh, guess what? She's one step closer to enjoying a little golden girl's lifestyle.

00:18:05 - 00:18:27 | Speaker 3:

Honest to God, that is my dream, though. Like I told Wes who like we're getting married at some point. But I'm like, at some point, I'm going to kick you out of the house because I just want to live with three other girls. So just know this, like, either you're going to die before me or I'm going to put you somewhere else because I really need to live like the Golden Girls to end my life.

00:18:27 - 00:18:29 | Speaker 1:

Honestly, it seems very appealing, doesn't it?

00:18:29 - 00:18:31 | Speaker 3:

It sounds like so much fun.

00:18:31 - 00:18:31 | Unknown:

I know.

00:18:32 - 00:18:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. You would see the biggest gift would be for me and the card attached would say thank you for being here. It just really gets going.

00:18:41 - 00:18:50 | Speaker 1:

By the way, we need to have a state trooper pull over KP's grandparents on their route. Put them in jail for like a day so she can get that house clean.

00:18:50 - 00:18:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, because I'm in stall. Stall.

00:18:51 - 00:18:52 | Speaker 1:

How smart are you?

00:18:53 - 00:18:59 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events and you tell us what year it happened.

00:19:00 - 00:19:04 | Speaker 1:

The San Francisco Giants won the World Series beating the Texas Rangers.

00:19:04 - 00:19:11 | Speaker 2:

And for the first time since 1954, the Giants are world champions.

00:19:11 - 00:19:13 | Speaker 1:

The first season of Glee was on Fox.

00:19:16 - 00:19:19 | Speaker 3:

Being a part of something special makes you special, right?

00:19:22 - 00:19:27 | Speaker 4:

Let your little Glee kids have their club, but don't pretend any of them are something.

00:19:27 - 00:19:48 | Speaker 1:

And Bruno Mars had the big song on this radio station. What year was it? We'll set you up with the back-in-the-day prize, $50 Red Robin gift card, so you can go have lunch or dinner on us. We'll be right back. Prove what a big brain you have.

00:19:48 - 00:20:00 | Speaker 2:

Tell us when that stuff happened. Call us at 844-MOJO-LIVE to tell us. 844-665-6548. Mojo's back in the day. Back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:20:00 - 00:20:04 | Speaker 3:

The Giants, the San Francisco Giants, beat the Texas Rangers in this year for the World Series.

00:20:06 - 00:20:11 | Speaker 4:

And for the first time since 1954, the Giants are world champions.

00:20:11 - 00:20:14 | Speaker 3:

Remember Glee? It debuted this year on Fox.

00:20:15 - 00:20:18 | Speaker 1:

Being a part of something special makes you special, right?

00:20:20 - 00:20:26 | Speaker 4:

Let your little Glee kids have their club, but don't pretend any of them are something they're not.

00:20:26 - 00:20:38 | Speaker 3:

And a big song from Bruno. Love this song. So good. What year was that? Kevin, what year was that?

00:20:39 - 00:20:40 | Speaker 4:

That was 2010, Mojo.

00:20:40 - 00:20:44 | Speaker 3:

That was 2010. Congratulations. What gave it away?

00:20:45 - 00:20:52 | Speaker 4:

It was the Giants. That was like the first time in 20 years that my father-in-law has a huge baseball buff, so I can't forget that one. Oh, that's cool.

00:20:53 - 00:20:56 | Speaker 3:

We got a gift card, Red Robin gift card for you. Congratulations.

00:20:57 - 00:20:58 | Speaker 4:

That's awesome. Thank you, guys.

00:20:59 - 00:21:01 | Speaker 3:

Have a great weekend. Enjoy this one, okay?

00:21:02 - 00:21:02 | Speaker 4:

Same to you.

00:21:03 - 00:21:10 | Speaker 3:

I'll be sitting inside all day today and tomorrow watching the finish of the NFL draft, hoping that the Lions actually get some better players.

00:21:11 - 00:21:13 | Speaker 4:

I got a week till Miami, so.

00:21:14 - 00:21:15 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? What's going on in Miami?

00:21:16 - 00:21:19 | Speaker 4:

We're going on a cruise. Nice for you. That we've been waiting for since COVID.

00:21:19 - 00:21:20 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh.

00:21:20 - 00:21:21 | Speaker 1:

Good for you. Enjoy.

00:21:21 - 00:21:44 | Speaker 3:

Have a great time. We're giving away tickets to go see Taylor Swift right now. Text for Taylor. Text HERO, H-E-R-O, right now to 95500 for a chance to win. That's HERO, H-E-R-O, and you'll have a chance to win Taylor Swift tickets. Swift tickets. Ah, it's Friday. All of a sudden, I think I just had a mild stroke right when I was saying Swift tickets.

00:21:45 - 00:21:46 | Speaker 1:

Like, what just happened?

00:21:47 - 00:21:57 | Speaker 3:

And we have more tickets coming up next hour. We've got Ed Sheeran tickets for you to win. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. All right, Shannon, what do you got in this hour's Dirty on the 30s?

00:21:57 - 00:22:34 | Speaker 1:

Well, it was freaking dirty at the very, very end of the show yesterday, but TV legend Jerry Springer passed away at the age of 79. He'd been diagnosed with cancer a few months ago, passed away in his home in suburban Chicago very peacefully. Sources telling me he actually had pancreatic cancer, was diagnosed a couple of months ago, took a turn for the worse this week, didn't really tell anybody about his cancer battle except for his family. So this was kept very, very quiet. His Jerry Springer show ran for nearly three decades, starting in 1991.

00:22:34 - 00:23:00 | Speaker 2:

I'd say 90% of it is absolutely true. Yes, there are people that come on the show and I'm sure make up the stories. Most don't. Our producers do a real good job at finding that out. And occasionally, apparently, we have had producers that go over the line and try and get their guests to do things that they shouldn't do. That's wrong. I want the show to be honest because that's the only way it works. Otherwise, you might as well have a soap opera. No, my show is plain stupid. I mean, it's just...

00:23:00 - 00:23:11 | Speaker 1:

His last TV appearance came last season on The Masked Singer. If you remember, he performed as The Beatle. And that was it. We didn't really see him again.

00:23:11 - 00:23:18 | Speaker 3:

So, guess what? This is the weirdest thing. KP and I were down in Tampa, what, a couple, three months? I don't know how long ago it was. It was March.

00:23:18 - 00:23:18 | Speaker 4:

It was March.

00:23:18 - 00:23:35 | Speaker 3:

He was doing interviews with the local Tampa stations. and ran into him in the hallway while we were going to the bathroom. And I'm like, Jerry Springer. And I was like, surprise. He didn't look Jerry Springer-ish, but he also looked older. Well, he was older. Yeah.

00:23:35 - 00:23:36 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but he didn't look old.

00:23:36 - 00:23:51 | Speaker 3:

But he was out promoting things and he was out doing stuff. And it's amazing because they say that at that time that he came into the radio station, it was just after his pancreatic cancer diagnosis. Yeah. You would think at that point you'd be canceling all that stuff, but this guy worked till the end. Yeah.

00:23:51 - 00:23:53 | Speaker 4:

Do you guys know that he lived in Chicago?

00:23:54 - 00:23:57 | Speaker 3:

You know what? I did, because I would see him from time to time when I'd go visit. Yeah.

00:23:58 - 00:23:58 | Speaker 4:

Really?

00:23:58 - 00:23:59 | Speaker 3:

Jacob, yeah.

00:23:59 - 00:23:59 | Speaker 1:

Okay, that's cool.

00:24:00 - 00:24:02 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, because, well, you know, the show was done there.

00:24:02 - 00:24:02 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:24:02 - 00:24:40 | Speaker 3:

So the show was done at that NBC. Oh, I did not know that. Yeah, the NBC tower there that you see that's right there next to that Apple store on Michigan Avenue, that's where Jerry Springer was. Shut up. Actually, do you want to hear, like, a piece of, like, television history right now? Yes. Jerry Springer and Jenny Jones show. Remember the infamous Jenny Jones show? which caused for that death of the Michigan person. Yes. And then she got taken off the air after the person got murdered. Jenny Jones, Jerry Springer, right next to each other. Their studio's right next to each other. Judge Greg Mathis, on the opposite side of them. So they were all in the same building there, that NBC building that was there.

00:24:41 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 1:

Jada Pekin-Smith and Willow Smith's Red Table Talk has been canceled by Facebook Watch After Five Seasons. Might not be the end of the show If you are a fan, Jada said there still may be opportunities to take a seat at the table saying she is looking for a new home for the show. That cancellation comes.

00:25:00 - 00:25:24 | Speaker 3:

amid Facebook shift away from original programming and toward more virtual reality experiences. Little throwback before we get ready to play the throwback throwdown later this morning. Lance Bass said that despite what you might think, he's actually made more money since NSYNC's permanent hiatus, I love that he calls it that, than he did when the band was at the height of their popularity.

00:25:25 - 00:25:44 | Speaker 2:

Well, the worst thing is people thinking that we were rich, because we were not. Lou Pearlman stole all your money. We were famous, but we were not rich. Yeah, I mean, I made way more money after NSYNC than I did during NSYNC. I mean, he really took the majority of all of our stuff. And the record label, too. Horrible, horrible deals.

00:25:45 - 00:25:51 | Speaker 3:

Remember, I mean, he pulled off, Lou Pearlman pulled off one of the biggest Ponzi schemes in history. He died, didn't he? In prison.

00:25:51 - 00:25:59 | Speaker 1:

He did, yeah. Yeah. And then there was also, remember, a lot of rumors about him, too, like, taking advantage of these kids, even sexually and sexually arousing. Oh, an LFO.

00:25:59 - 00:26:06 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. And lastly, Vince Vaughn is set to star in a sequel to the movie Dodgeball.

00:26:07 - 00:26:07 | Unknown:

Yes.

00:26:07 - 00:26:13 | Speaker 2:

Shouldn't we, like, learn by dodging balls that are thrown at us? That's what this sack of wrenches is for.

00:26:14 - 00:26:17 | Speaker 1:

If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball.

00:26:17 - 00:26:31 | Speaker 3:

The original film also stars Ben Stiller. No word yet on his involvement this time around. Oh, he has to come back. Yeah. Well, he and Vince Vaughn did interviews and talked about wanting to do a sequel for a long time. So I would be very surprised if he was not going to be involved in some way.

00:26:31 - 00:26:34 | Speaker 4:

The question is, is Ben Stiller's ex-wife going to be in it as well?

00:26:35 - 00:26:36 | Speaker 1:

Oh. Who's the ex-wife?

00:26:36 - 00:26:48 | Speaker 4:

Aren't they back together? Are they back together? I think they're back together. Christine Taylor? I forgot her name, but yeah, the blonde lady who's in all of Ben Stiller's comedies. Yeah, I think they're back together. Oh, okay. Well, congratulations for them.

00:26:48 - 00:26:53 | Speaker 1:

Megan, another story for you. Chicago. Vince Vaughn lives in Chicago, too.

00:26:53 - 00:26:54 | Speaker 4:

I got to go to Chicago, yeah.

00:26:55 - 00:27:00 | Speaker 1:

Vince Vaughn, John Cusack, all those guys. Like, you see them walking around the Gold Coast in Chicago all the time.

00:27:00 - 00:27:06 | Speaker 3:

You're right, Shannon. They're back together. Yeah. I thought I read that somewhere. All right. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on mojointhemorning.com.

00:27:09 - 00:27:14 | Speaker 4:

Celebrity Dirt, directly from the source, is Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the Dirty.

00:27:22 - 00:27:33 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning Show. Megan you have a friend that really wants to have her baby like now get it out of me is that right

00:27:33 - 00:28:34 | Speaker 4:

yeah she's 41 weeks and four days today and so she's overdue yeah just a smidge just nearly by two weeks and she's losing her mind um it's funny because she's she just found out yesterday that she's going to be induced on sunday night and she really really really does not want to be induced so she is trying everything right now in order to get this baby out of her and um i mean she went into detail about everything the spicy foods we're actually um going out to lunch today and i'm pretty sure we're gonna go somewhere with very spicy foods and her and her husband let's just say they're having a good time and uh she goes for walks all the time nobody wants her to walk anywhere, I offer to drive her literally everywhere. She's like, I'm getting this stupid baby out of me. But I wanted to hear, like, we're running out of options, and I think she's desperate to try anything. And who better to ask than moms? Moms, what did you do to get your baby out? You know what?

00:28:35 - 00:28:41 | Speaker 3:

She's going to have the baby before she's supposed to get induced. I swear, as soon as they schedule the induction, all of a sudden that baby's like, oh yeah, I'm supposed

00:28:41 - 00:28:43 | Speaker 1:

to come. And then it happens. And then it

00:28:43 - 00:28:43 | Speaker 3:

comes. Yes.

00:28:44 - 00:29:21 | Speaker 1:

I think Chelsea was overdue with one of our kids. I can't remember which one it was. And I remember that they said that you could have sex to get the baby out. But there was something with the guy's sperm that for some reason did it. And it was wild because you know I never like to turn down sex. I mean, listen, I mean, sex is a wonderful thing. It's like pizza. Who turns down pizza? So, it was something that was very awkward, though. It was like, I don't know what it was. I felt like doing it, I was just a piece of meat.

00:29:22 - 00:29:25 | Speaker 3:

Well, I mean, at that point, you were. Like, I felt like at that moment. But did you really care?

00:29:25 - 00:30:13 | Speaker 1:

No, because it wasn't fun, because it was basically, all right, hurry up, all right, let's go, come on. It wasn't like doing it because of, you know, she wanted to have a piece of my meat. Exactly. It wasn't because of you were trying to, you know, do anything other than to induce the baby. And then you were, like, worried about the baby. But then there was other stuff, too. Like, I had to get her, she wanted the spicy food, Megan. So I had to get her, we lived in Arizona, Jack in the Box Tacos. Have you ever had Jack in the Box Tacos? So good. Oh my God, they're so good. And they have this hot sauce too that comes with them. I wish we had Jack in the Box just for the tacos. But then I'm thinking. oh my God, she's going to go deliver this baby and it's going to be like jack-in-the-box tacos, hopefully not coming out. What's going on? Bonnie? Hi. The spicy food actually does work?

00:30:14 - 00:30:37 | Speaker 2:

It worked. Everybody at work was telling me, oh, try sex. That was so gross. What? It was horrible. Yes. It was horrible. Yeah. They get private vacuuming back and forth, tired of walking. I went to Taco Bell, got the spicy sauce. I was in the hospital that night. Oh, really? By the way,

00:30:37 - 00:30:44 | Speaker 1:

the vacuuming part's interesting. They tell you that you should vacuum or do house work. I think that was started by some guy that wanted to have the house cleaned before his wife

00:30:44 - 00:30:48 | Speaker 2:

had the baby. It must have been, but the spicy food worked, Megan.

00:30:49 - 00:31:11 | Speaker 4:

Yes, and you know, I always say this, taco salad. I went into labor after I ate taco salad. However, let's just think about this for a second. I ate taco salad. what do you think the side effect was when I was pushing Lucy out? Just beware about what you choose as your spicy food. Yeah. That is true. It's true. But I had C-sections. Oh, okay. I had C-sections.

00:31:11 - 00:31:15 | Speaker 1:

Oh, man. Wait, so you had a C-section? You didn't even need any of that stuff. C-section.

00:31:16 - 00:31:18 | Speaker 4:

Well, maybe she went into labor and didn't plan on it.

00:31:18 - 00:31:39 | Speaker 1:

No, I know. I'm saying you did all that work, and the doctor could have just done that to start. Bonnie, the interesting thing that Megan doesn't understand about the sex when you're about ready to give birth to a baby. Megan, have you ever had tried to have sex after you went and had like the best meal ever, the biggest meal ever? That's what it's like having sex when you're a pregnant woman, right Bonnie?

00:31:40 - 00:31:41 | Speaker 3:

It's horrible!

00:31:42 - 00:31:46 | Speaker 1:

I'm telling you, the last thing in the world you want to do is have sex after a great meal.

00:31:46 - 00:31:50 | Speaker 2:

No, but that's my kind of sex, because that's the excuse that you get to lay there.

00:31:50 - 00:31:52 | Speaker 1:

Oh my god, I love her reaction.

00:31:53 - 00:31:59 | Speaker 2:

I'm kidding, I'm kidding. I'm trying to be honest that I am a lazy lover.

00:32:00 - 00:32:02 | Speaker 1:

Hold on, I got to turn the mic up. What did you say, KP?

00:32:03 - 00:32:08 | Speaker 2:

Megan, I never took you as a starfish type. I really didn't. I promise you, I'm not.

00:32:09 - 00:32:10 | Speaker 3:

I believe you.

00:32:11 - 00:32:14 | Speaker 1:

Bonnie, thanks for the call. What's up, Sherry?

00:32:15 - 00:32:16 | Speaker 3:

Good morning, Mojo.

00:32:16 - 00:32:18 | Speaker 1:

Morning. What do you think Megan's friend should do?

00:32:19 - 00:32:36 | Speaker 3:

Well, I was overdue, and my aunt, we were in one of the stores that have those, You put the penny in, and you go on the riding horse. Sandy! That's the name of the horse. Yes, yes. Anyhow, we did that, and I went into labor that night.

00:32:36 - 00:32:41 | Speaker 1:

Oh, wow. So the riding horse out in front of a mire is where you've got to be going. Do they still have those things?

00:32:43 - 00:32:43 | Unknown:

Pardon me?

00:32:44 - 00:32:46 | Speaker 1:

Do they still have those in front of stores anymore?

00:32:47 - 00:32:52 | Speaker 3:

I think KP said they have them inside mire. Are they still only a penny?

00:32:52 - 00:32:52 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

00:32:53 - 00:32:56 | Speaker 3:

I have no idea. This was 40 years ago.

00:32:56 - 00:32:57 | Speaker 1:

Oh, wow.

00:32:59 - 00:33:00 | Speaker 3:

Where do you keep the cigarettes?

00:33:01 - 00:33:04 | Speaker 1:

We love you.

00:33:05 - 00:33:09 | Speaker 3:

I love you, too. Have a good day, Shannon and Mojo. Hold on.

00:33:09 - 00:33:22 | Speaker 1:

In honor of Smoker Jackie, we need to find the next Mojo in the Morning's greatest smoker ever, Sherry. You need to be a Mojo in the Morning misfit, Sherry.

00:33:23 - 00:33:26 | Speaker 3:

Okay, I'll be the next misfit. Yes. I love it.

00:33:26 - 00:33:34 | Speaker 1:

We won't call you. We'll call you misfit Sherry Smoker instead of Smoker Sherry. I don't know. Would it be disrespectful to Jackie?

00:33:35 - 00:33:37 | Speaker 4:

No, I think we could do Smoker Sherry. We should be okay. Okay, Smoker Sherry. It feels better.

00:33:38 - 00:33:45 | Speaker 1:

All right, hold on one second. God rest her soul. We loved her so much. Jackie, what's up, Annette?

00:33:46 - 00:34:14 | Speaker 2:

Good morning, y'all. Good morning. Morning. I'm here to come again. Listen, back in the day, the old people from down south would tell you to do castor oil. And then also, I know she said sex is not working, but nipple stimulation, that works because of the hormones that are produced. It actually makes you think, hey, I'm supposed to be nursing this baby right now, but the baby got to come first. Really?

00:34:14 - 00:34:19 | Speaker 1:

So should Megan, instead of going out for spicy food today, just stimulate her friend's nipples?

00:34:20 - 00:34:44 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Not Megan. Well. Let me tell you. We're good friends. We are not that good friends. We're not that good friends. She's got to do it the right way now. You can't just be twinking. All right. All right. If we're thinking of like shapes, what are we working with here? Shapes?

00:34:44 - 00:34:45 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:34:46 - 00:34:48 | Speaker 2:

You just got to. Come on, y'all.

00:34:50 - 00:34:52 | Speaker 1:

You know how to stimulate the...

00:34:52 - 00:34:55 | Speaker 2:

Do a little princess. Yes, all right. We know. Thank you, Annette.

00:34:55 - 00:34:56 | Speaker 1:

Take care of yourself.

00:34:56 - 00:34:58 | Speaker 2:

Love you guys. Love you, too.

00:34:58 - 00:35:03 | Speaker 1:

And Jenny says this... This is actually a good one. Megan, you should take her for what, Jenny?

00:35:04 - 00:35:11 | Speaker 2:

A pedicure. Yeah, that's a good one. Yeah, there's pressure points at the back of your ankle that will break her water. Yep.

00:35:11 - 00:35:17 | Speaker 1:

What? Yeah, that's very true. So, yeah, take her for lunch and a pedicure today. That's better than stimulating her nipple.

00:35:17 - 00:35:18 | Speaker 2:

I'll do that.

00:35:18 - 00:35:26 | Speaker 1:

All right. Thank you, Jenny. How about this one? One last one. Jackie, what should Megan and her friend do today to get this baby induced?

00:35:26 - 00:35:52 | Speaker 2:

So, with my first baby, I did the stereotypical yoga ball, bounce, bounce, bounce, bounce, bounce, baby came, right? Well, my son was due a week later when I was having my second. And so, my husband and I are assembling a trampoline to occupy the first kid once we have the baby. And he jokes, why don't you just jump on the trampoline? It's way better than a yoga ball. And lo and behold, about midnight, I go into labor.

00:35:52 - 00:35:56 | Speaker 1:

Wow. That's amazing. The baby came because of the trampoline.

00:35:57 - 00:36:01 | Speaker 2:

The baby came because of the trampoline, and so now both my kids have the same birthday.

00:36:01 - 00:36:07 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. Megan, you and your pregnant friend on a trampoline this afternoon.

00:36:08 - 00:36:23 | Speaker 2:

Where did we find a trampoline? Anybody, anybody. Just go into somebody's backyard. Or do we go to Sky Zone? Are we the only adults there? It's Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55. 5 at 6.55. Yo, 5 at 6.55. Go now.

00:36:24 - 00:36:40 | Speaker 1:

Aiden, our new champion. Remember him? He's a high school senior, graduating. Hi, Aiden. How you doing? Hi, I'm good. How are you? Fantastic. Aiden, welcome back. Going for your second win in a row. Say hello to Nicole from Wyandotte. What's up, Nicole?

00:36:41 - 00:36:43 | Speaker 2:

Good morning, everybody. Good morning.

00:36:44 - 00:36:49 | Speaker 1:

Nicole, Aiden just said hello to you, and now he wants to beat you in the 5 of 655.

00:36:50 - 00:36:56 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Hi, Aiden. Good luck to you. Congrats on your graduation. Thank you. Good luck to you, too.

00:36:56 - 00:37:07 | Speaker 1:

We're going to lock you up, Aiden, a soundproof air. You'll hear nothing, and then you will hear our beautiful Lydia, who will talk to you for a second here. Nicole, you got a big weekend plan?

00:37:08 - 00:37:10 | Speaker 2:

No, not really. Just working.

00:37:10 - 00:37:31 | Speaker 1:

Good. Well, you know what? This is actually not a bad weekend to work because it's going to be miserably raining, and then also they say on Sunday it's going to be cold, only like 40 degrees. All right, here we go. Five questions. Whoever gets the most right wins. Ty always goes to the champion. Question number one, this TV legend died yesterday at the age of 79.

00:37:32 - 00:37:33 | Unknown:

Jerry Springer.

00:37:33 - 00:37:47 | Speaker 1:

Question number two, a video of Keanu Reeves being super sweet to a nine-year-old super fan went viral this week. Keanu famously played John Wick in that movie franchise. How many John Wick movies are there?

00:37:49 - 00:37:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Four.

00:37:52 - 00:38:04 | Speaker 1:

Question number three, Meghan Markle is in the dirty this morning for announcing a new business venture amid tensions with the royal family. How many kids do Meghan and Prince Harry have?

00:38:05 - 00:38:06 | Unknown:

Two.

00:38:06 - 00:38:16 | Speaker 1:

Question four, Jada Pinkett Smith and her daughter's show Red Table Talk has been canceled by Facebook Watch. What is Jada and Will's daughter's name?

00:38:18 - 00:38:20 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Willow.

00:38:20 - 00:38:32 | Speaker 1:

And question number five, James Corden's final Late Late Show aired last night with Harry Styles and Will Ferrell as his final guests. On what network did the show air?

00:38:33 - 00:38:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh, cheese and rice. NBC.

00:38:37 - 00:38:39 | Speaker 1:

Let's bring the champ back from a soundproof area.

00:38:40 - 00:38:43 | Speaker 2:

Almost did it, but you got four out of five correct.

00:38:43 - 00:38:43 | Speaker 1:

Wow.

00:38:43 - 00:38:45 | Speaker 2:

Hey, I'll take it. Yeah, that's still pretty great.

00:38:46 - 00:38:55 | Speaker 1:

Aiden, she was good, so you got to be near perfect. You ready? Yeah, I'm ready. Question number one, this TV legend died yesterday at the age of 79.

00:38:56 - 00:38:57 | Speaker 2:

Jerry Springer.

00:38:57 - 00:39:13 | Speaker 1:

Yes. One to one. Question number two, a video of Keanu Reeves being super sweet to a nine-year-old super fan went viral this week. Keanu Reeves famously plays John Wick in that movie franchise. How many John Wick movies are there?

00:39:13 - 00:39:14 | Unknown:

Four.

00:39:14 - 00:39:15 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

00:39:15 - 00:39:15 | Speaker 2:

Two to two.

00:39:15 - 00:39:25 | Speaker 1:

Question number three, Meghan Markle is in the dirty this morning for announcing a new business venture amid tensions with the royal family. How many kids do Meghan and Prince Harry have?

00:39:27 - 00:39:27 | Unknown:

Two.

00:39:27 - 00:39:40 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Three to three. He's only 17. Question number four, Jada Pinkett Smith and her daughter's show Red Table Talk has been canceled by Facebook Watch. What is Jada and Will's daughter's name?

00:39:41 - 00:39:42 | Speaker 2:

Willow.

00:39:42 - 00:42:38 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Four to four. And a perfect score. This is the only question that Nicole missed. James Corden's final late, late show aired last night with Prince Harry and Will Ferrell as the final guests. On what network did this show air? NBC? No, both. You guys said that. CBS. Final score, 4-4, but Aiden wins. Got the tie. Got the tie. Congratulations to you. By the way, Tom Cruise was also, I guess, on that episode. I watched the viral video of them doing The Lion King, and it was actually really good. I don't know if you got it, but we should play some of that this morning because it was very, very funny. Those guys doing, what are the characters' names? The, uh, uh, I was a home, our home. Timpon and Pumbaa. Yeah, that's right. Uh, congratulations to Aiden coming back next week with us. Uh, we have a gift certificate, a $50 gift card for you, Nicole, for playing. So congratulations to you. Aw, thank you guys. Thank you for having me. It was so much fun. Oh, it was fun. I love you guys. Yeah, you were good. You got, uh, you had a good challenger here, though. It's Mojo in the mornings. Five is 6.55. Five, five, five. Welcome to the Mojo in the Morning show. Happy Friday. Good to have you guys here listening this morning. Coming up in just a little bit, we kick off our Mojo's Only Fans contest. Also, in moments, your chance to go to our Naughty Moms Night Out. We will give you a shot in the next, like, few minutes here, okay? So we'll give you a shot for that. And we're going to meet our Mojo in the Morning OnlyFans contestant this morning. And we actually have a contestant and then the backup, just in case this contestant for some reason cannot fulfill their duties of duty. And we have a backup, a backup duty-er. So it's going to be fun. And I learned something different that I did not know. but did you know everybody that's listening here that the women's restroom has six how many is it six stalls or five four stalls okay four stalls to the guy's bathroom only having two stalls this really upset him yesterday i thought that that's not uh gender equality and i'm a very upset about that whole thing i i want to know why that is that uh that that has happened here i hard radio I'm calling you to task on that one. We have lots of doodiers here. It's tough to get into that bathroom from time to time. Okay, so the OnlyFans contest, by the way, which is kind of awkward sometimes when we say Mojo's OnlyFans. Everybody automatically just assumes it's like the OnlyFans dirty stuff, but it's not. We're going to give you tasks to do, and if you do them, you get cash, and then you decide which ones that you want to do and which ones you don't want to do.

00:42:38 - 00:44:48 | Speaker 1:

and going to meet our contestant that's going to be doing this. And then we'll also say hello to our backup that is here, just possibly in case it becomes an issue. But I don't think it's going to become an issue. Jackie from Rochester is in with us this morning. Welcome, Jackie. Hi, Jackie. Good morning, team. Good morning, team. Good morning. What did you say? Good morning, team. Good morning, team. Good morning, team. Okay. All right. I like that. Wait, is that like Fri-yay instead of Friday? Something like that, you know, with Medea, with the good morning. Okay. All right. It says here that you're in education. You actually edumacate people. I do. I do. And you're doing this before you go into work. I like that. So you're going to earn a little cash before you go to work. Just a little. Just a little looking forward to this. So when we did this contest and we opened it up and said, who would take on this task of reading the book Everyone Poops for over an hour during our commercial free hour and how much money would you want for it? people were asking for thousands of dollars to some people asking for $500. You only asked for $100. Oh, but with a side ask. What was a side ask? With a pair of Drake tickets. Oh, my gosh. Remember? I remember. And I think, didn't we not say we don't have the Drake tickets? We do have Drake tickets, but we don't have them for this contest because this is only a cash contest. Right. Only a cash contest. It's only a cash contest. So here's what I'm going to do for you. Okay. We're going to give you $500 if you do this test, okay? I don't know. She lost her headphones for a second. Did you lose your headphones? All right, so we upped the budget to $500 then for you, okay? Because you were not greedy, even though the Drake tickets could be conceivably considered, you know, I don't know. I think it was smart. But it's not. Yeah, it was very smart. But the people who are asking for, like, Taylor, the problem is we open it up to floodgates, then we got Taylor Swift tickets. And you know what Taylor Swift tickets are going for right now on the aftermarket? They're like $1,000 to $2,000 a piece. Oh, my God. Yes. Only fans. I'm going to tell you this. I would have to go do only fans to get you a pair of tickets like that. So look at you. You're a reputable woman, and you're going to sit on the toilet.

00:44:49 - 00:44:50 | Unknown:

Yeah, why not?

00:44:51 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 1:

When's the last time that you went to the bathroom? Honestly, yesterday when I got home, I had a very prosperous sit-down. Really? Give it at that.

00:45:00 - 00:45:13 | Speaker 4:

I love her. I was just like, oh, my gosh, I'm going to do this again in the morning. You got to. So, yeah, I'm sitting here. I'm a little nervous. You know, I thought about bringing something to eat to kind of help this process out, but I'm a little nervous, so I may not have to do that.

00:45:13 - 00:45:18 | Speaker 2:

Well, technically, you don't have to go. Like, you don't. You just have to sit there. You just got to be sitting there. Yeah. Do you ever do that? Do you have kids?

00:45:19 - 00:45:19 | Speaker 4:

I do. I have three girls.

00:45:20 - 00:45:24 | Speaker 2:

I've noticed that moms sometimes will go to the bathroom, just sit there and hide from them. Have you ever done that before?

00:45:25 - 00:45:38 | Speaker 4:

When they were younger. I even do that now for my little grand pumpkin. And he'll- You're a grandma? Well, I'm a grandma in the works, but my oldest daughter, she's going to be having a baby in June. So I'm an official grandma in June. Wow.

00:45:38 - 00:45:40 | Speaker 2:

She's definitely a glamma, isn't she?

00:45:40 - 00:45:42 | Speaker 4:

Yes, you are. She's gorgeous. I try.

00:45:43 - 00:45:46 | Speaker 2:

Your backup is Emma. Did you meet Emma from Toledo?

00:45:46 - 00:45:47 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Emma. How are you?

00:45:48 - 00:45:53 | Speaker 2:

Emma from Toledo, you were actually a little more greedy than Jackie. What did you want for this? What was your tag?

00:45:53 - 00:46:00 | Speaker 1:

Well, I did ask for $4.50, but I think Jackie had the smart move. I definitely should have lowered my price And asked for some Aubrey tickets

00:46:00 - 00:46:13 | Speaker 2:

You know what though Here's the thing You got in here as a backup We're definitely going to give you something Because you came all the way up from Toledo So we'll figure out a price Concert tickets We're going to give you Drake tickets I don't know if you No I'm just joking I'm joking Oh my gosh

00:46:13 - 00:46:16 | Speaker 4:

Jackie's face It's about to be a fight in the studio

00:46:16 - 00:46:26 | Speaker 2:

I thought for a second there That Jackie was literally going to reach over this control board And you were going to like Get Oh yeah

00:46:26 - 00:46:28 | Speaker 5:

That mojo ain't no good.

00:46:28 - 00:46:54 | Speaker 2:

00:50:27 - 00:50:49 | Speaker 5:

All right, Mojo in the Morning. So it's the end of this school year for many kids. It's also the beginning of, okay, now I realize how popular I was or how not popular I was. I bring this up because you know how you could tell how popular a kid was? Like, Shannon, you were the popular person, and I'm not trying to pick on you for being the popular person.

00:50:49 - 00:50:56 | Speaker 3:

No, I actually very much was not. You could ask anybody I went to school with. I was very much in the middle. You were? Yeah, but I did a lot of stuff, but I was not popular.

00:50:56 - 00:51:06 | Speaker 5:

Okay, well, that's how I judge who the popular kid is, Megan. I judge that. I know, Shannon, you probably don't judge it because you say you were kind of nerdy in high school. I was also nerdy. I was actually not nerdy.

00:51:06 - 00:51:07 | Speaker 3:

It was just the middle of the road.

00:51:07 - 00:51:36 | Speaker 5:

I was not nerdy like nerdy as in a guy that got picked on because I was the same size as I am right now. Honestly, when I show you something in just a matter of moments, and KP's got to post this and share this. i'm going to show you my high school yearbook photo you'll say to yourself when if it wasn't that i took the actual picture of the yearbook photo you'll say to yourself that looks like a picture from right now like you know what i mean like it's weird it's weird how it looks but here's

00:51:36 - 00:51:45 | Speaker 1:

yeah what's here's how i know you're right it's because i was popular at my first school all over the place not popular at my second school couldn't find me anywhere exactly yeah You talked about that before. Yeah.

00:51:45 - 00:52:27 | Speaker 5:

So here's how I judge popularity. I judge popularity based on how many times you are in your yearbook. If you are in your yearbook a ton of times, like if you're in there, you know, more than, you know, a couple of times, you are extremely popular. Like, especially if you're in there like five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten times or something like that. Like if you're in there 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 times, then you are like extremely popular. If you are in there one time, which is what I was in, one time, and it was just the picture of me.

00:52:28 - 00:52:30 | Speaker 4:

I'm so excited you're playing.

00:52:30 - 00:52:32 | Speaker 3:

You look like a 40-year-old man.

00:52:33 - 00:52:35 | Speaker 5:

I do. I look like the teacher, don't I?

00:52:35 - 00:52:36 | Speaker 3:

You honestly do.

00:52:36 - 00:52:52 | Speaker 5:

Like, I was in my yearbook one time So I was trying to show Luke this Because Luke's graduating from Oh, today's his last day of school Yeah, today's his last day of school And so I was trying to show him How unpopular I was And look what I've become Wait, Megan

00:52:52 - 00:52:53 | Speaker 1:

No, I can see it

00:52:53 - 00:52:53 | Speaker 3:

He's got to send you

00:52:53 - 00:52:55 | Speaker 1:

I sent it to her, yeah Honestly

00:52:55 - 00:52:56 | Speaker 3:

I am dying

00:52:56 - 00:53:00 | Speaker 1:

You could put it as your LinkedIn profile pic right now And I would believe it

00:53:00 - 00:53:05 | Speaker 3:

Isn't it great? The only thing that's missing is your glasses And a little bit more facial hair now

00:53:05 - 00:53:07 | Speaker 5:

And facial hair, yes I mean, I had a unibrow.

00:53:07 - 00:53:08 | Speaker 3:

You look the same.

00:53:08 - 00:53:08 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:53:09 - 00:53:09 | Speaker 3:

You don't have a unibrow.

00:53:10 - 00:53:16 | Speaker 5:

My sister, by the way, joked with me that that tweed jacket is in again. It is. That's actually back in.

00:53:16 - 00:53:16 | Speaker 1:

It really is.

00:53:18 - 00:53:21 | Speaker 4:

You're gonna be popular. Yeah, not me.

00:53:22 - 00:53:23 | Speaker 5:

Okay, that is true.

00:53:24 - 00:53:55 | Speaker 3:

But again, I will say, I would never have said I was popular, but I was a tryhard, and I belonged to every club possible. I told you. But I wasn't involved in a sport or anything. I didn't play sports. I was, you know, in choir, and I did theater. So I was in those groups. And then, like, the Key Club, National Honor Society. And shout out to Thespian Truth 2860. That's the drama club. Oh, my God. I did all of those things. But so I feel like I go against your theory here.

00:53:55 - 00:53:59 | Speaker 5:

I don't buy it. You're popular. You don't want to admit that you're popular. That's okay.

00:53:59 - 00:54:03 | Speaker 3:

I mean, if somebody that I went to school with wants to call, they will corroborate my story.

00:54:03 - 00:54:10 | Speaker 5:

Shannon, you go to the back of the yearbook. It shows me up there one time. You go to the back of the yearbook for you.

00:54:10 - 00:54:11 | Speaker 3:

You want to know something funny?

00:54:11 - 00:54:12 | Speaker 5:

And it shows you how many times?

00:54:13 - 00:54:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I don't know. More than one. I mean, maybe.

00:54:16 - 00:54:20 | Speaker 3:

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve.

00:54:20 - 00:54:20 | Speaker 2:

Come on.

00:54:22 - 00:54:26 | Speaker 3:

I love the text that said you were either popular or you were on the yearbook committee.

00:54:29 - 00:54:30 | Speaker 5:

Ashley, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:54:31 - 00:54:49 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. I agree. You were on the yearbook committee, and I was just saying that I wasn't super popular when I was in school, but I was on yearbook. So when it was our time to go around and take pictures, I would go find my friends, and we would have those pictures. So we were in the yearbook a ton. A ton. Yeah.

00:54:49 - 00:54:52 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. So how many times were you in your yearbook?

00:54:54 - 00:54:54 | Speaker 4:

Which year?

00:54:55 - 00:54:57 | Speaker 5:

Which year? Well, your senior year. That's the big year.

00:54:58 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 4:

My senior year.

00:55:00 - 00:55:02 | Speaker 2:

I was in there probably like 8 to 12 times

00:55:02 - 00:55:04 | Speaker 1:

Guess how many times I was in

00:55:04 - 00:55:05 | Speaker 5:

One

00:55:05 - 00:55:09 | Speaker 1:

Uno Uno, that's all I know

00:55:09 - 00:55:15 | Speaker 5:

So you didn't do anything else? No I played sports

00:55:15 - 00:55:29 | Speaker 1:

But my senior year I had my knee issues And I didn't play any sports Believe it or not, I was in the National Honor Society I actually got a rope In war at graduation Believe it or not, guess what? They didn't even include me in the National Honor Society picture

00:55:29 - 00:55:31 | Speaker 5:

Did you forget to go on picture day to take that group picture?

00:55:31 - 00:55:39 | Speaker 1:

No. Here's the deal. I wasn't invited to it because I think that they didn't want anybody to know that I actually got to make Matt National Honor Society. They were afraid of ruining the National Honor Society.

00:55:39 - 00:56:14 | Speaker 5:

You want to know something funny is Wes brought out his yearbooks for me to look through. This was a couple weeks ago. And so I'm like looking because I wanted to see what he was like in high school, right? This person I'm marrying. So I get to the page, his yearbook at a school in Toronto had like all the couples, right? All the couples, everybody was dating. Yeah. I see Wes with a girl. I'm like, oh, who's your girl? You know, who's your girlfriend? I see Wes with another girl. Oh, okay. I see Wes with another girl. I said, there's one couples page that you made three times.

00:56:14 - 00:56:18 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Isn't that funny? That's amazing. So, Wes is the man.

00:56:18 - 00:56:20 | Speaker 5:

Popular with the ladies.

00:56:20 - 00:56:21 | Speaker 1:

Man, oh, man.

00:56:21 - 00:56:22 | Speaker 5:

I thought that was great.

00:56:22 - 00:56:23 | Speaker 1:

Hi, John. What's going on?

00:56:24 - 00:56:26 | Speaker 4:

Hello. Mojo in the morning.

00:56:27 - 00:56:27 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

00:56:28 - 00:56:52 | Speaker 4:

Hi, John. see that john yes i was in the yearbook uh i didn't even think i was popular at all whatsoever but i ended up being in the yearbook like 13 times and then there was this page that the whole bottom of the half of the one page was just one giant picture of me really you got the whole

00:56:52 - 00:56:57 | Speaker 1:

page well you know what it is your your mom bought the ad because that's the other thing

00:56:57 - 00:56:58 | Speaker 4:

Right, right, right.

00:56:59 - 00:57:04 | Speaker 1:

Those kids whose parents would pay to put an ad in there for them, you know?

00:57:05 - 00:57:21 | Speaker 4:

Well, it turned out the yearbook editor had a crush on me, and they found out after that whole debacle, and then the next year they changed all the rules about how the pictures had to go through all this stuff. But, yeah, so I was the last one to slip through these.

00:57:22 - 00:57:34 | Speaker 1:

That's pretty awesome. By the way, that's good. But I've realized now that if I was going to go back in time, I would just start dating a yearbook girl, one of the girls from the yearbook. Hannah, what's up?

00:57:35 - 00:57:36 | Speaker 3:

Hi, how are you guys?

00:57:36 - 00:57:38 | Speaker 1:

We're doing good. What's going on, Hannah?

00:57:39 - 00:57:54 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you know, hanging in there, getting ready for work. So my yearbook or my school didn't even put me in my yearbook when I graduated, but they put me throughout like they put me in the pictures throughout the yearbook. They just didn't put my picture that I graduated.

00:57:55 - 00:57:55 | Speaker 1:

Oh, jeez.

00:57:56 - 00:57:59 | Speaker 3:

Not even, like, the not pictured, not mentioned in it, nothing.

00:58:00 - 00:58:02 | Speaker 1:

You were in there 0.0 times.

00:58:03 - 00:58:13 | Speaker 3:

No, I was still in there. They just didn't put my name or, like, my senior picture or anything like that. They put me in the pictures that were, like, scattered throughout the yearbook.

00:58:13 - 00:58:25 | Speaker 1:

We were worried about that with Luke because Luke refused to go and get senior photos, and he did not want to get senior pictures. He did not want, you know how kids do that, and then they go around the city and stuff and get pictures taken?

00:58:25 - 00:58:28 | Speaker 5:

Did he get one in, like, a suit or something, though? Like, just a nice one?

00:58:28 - 00:58:31 | Speaker 1:

So we made him go to, is it Jocelyn's or whatever?

00:58:32 - 00:58:34 | Speaker 5:

Jocelyn's did the rings and stuff.

00:58:34 - 00:59:06 | Speaker 1:

No, Jocelyn's rings. Whatever the photo person is, people are. So we took him over to the Novi offices and stuff. And this is the funniest thing. Chelsea said he didn't even bring his suit. He just wore the top and that, and he had, like, a pair of, you know, shorts or whatever on. And his hair wasn't even She had to like fix his hair But he got a picture done And I posted it a couple weeks ago Or a week ago on our social media And at least he had that Because we were like It would be so embarrassing Because for you Who did they have in your place Or did it just have a blank spot?

00:59:07 - 00:59:12 | Speaker 3:

There was nothing there Absolutely nothing I'm pretty sure my yearbook editor hated me

00:59:12 - 00:59:13 | Speaker 1:

Because I think

00:59:13 - 00:59:17 | Speaker 3:

I was friends with her But now we're not friends anymore So it kind of makes sense

00:59:17 - 00:59:21 | Speaker 1:

I think in Luke's school everybody has to have a picture and if they don't have a picture they you know maybe put a cartoon

00:59:21 - 00:59:25 | Speaker 3:

character or something like that i don't know yeah i wish they would have did that instead but

00:59:25 - 00:59:45 | Speaker 1:

yeah you know yeah that's it's funny to look back on this right now and to realize how it really meant nothing but now i actually feel bad about it i don't know i didn't care that much that i was only in there once but now i'm actually caring what's up olivia hello hey what's going on uh

00:59:45 - 01:00:00 | Speaker 2:

First-time caller, long-time listener. Yay! Hi! Um, I, so I, we didn't have a yearbook my senior year, but my, I went on spring break with my best friend at her high school.

01:00:00 - 01:00:13 | Speaker 4:

um for her high school and we ended up being her and her her boyfriend and i who went to the same high school we ended up being in her her yearbook oh you were in another no way that's funny

01:00:13 - 01:00:19 | Speaker 2:

that's really funny and they probably did they know how to title you or did they say who you were

01:00:19 - 01:00:26 | Speaker 4:

no not at all not at all but you know she doesn't you made it but she made the yearbook yeah somebody

01:00:26 - 01:00:40 | Speaker 2:

actually just texted a second ago, which is kind of funny, that Mojo in the Morning and all of us made a couple of yearbooks this year. So that's kind of cool. So, you know what? See there? You don't have to be in your own yearbook to make other people's yearbooks. Riley, what's going on?

01:00:41 - 01:00:46 | Speaker 4:

Hey. I've never been on with you guys before, so it is nice to sort of meet you.

01:00:46 - 01:00:47 | Speaker 2:

Can I give you some air horn?

01:00:48 - 01:00:57 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. It's making me feel special. So, my uncle actually knows Shannon from high school. Are you the one that texted?

01:00:57 - 01:01:00 | Speaker 2:

Wait, do we have truth on Shannon? What was she? Was she popular?

01:01:01 - 01:01:04 | Speaker 5:

You wrote your uncle's name, and I didn't go to school with someone of that name.

01:01:05 - 01:01:06 | Speaker 2:

How do you know? You knew everybody?

01:01:07 - 01:01:08 | Speaker 5:

Well, our grade was very small.

01:01:08 - 01:01:09 | Speaker 4:

He told me that he did.

01:01:09 - 01:01:09 | Speaker 2:

Really?

01:01:09 - 01:01:11 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, he was not in my grade.

01:01:11 - 01:01:14 | Speaker 2:

He went to school at Grosse Hill High School, right?

01:01:16 - 01:01:21 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no, it wasn't. Okay, then he lied to me. Yeah. That son of a... I saw the name. I'm sorry.

01:01:21 - 01:01:33 | Speaker 5:

Liza Minnelli, Megan. I appreciate the compliment, but I'm like, we knew everybody in our grade because it was small, and I didn't know anybody of that name. I didn't want to say his name on the air and embarrass him.

01:01:33 - 01:01:45 | Speaker 2:

Riley, you got to do us a favor, okay? You got to just play this podcast for him, but don't tell him why you're playing. Say, oh, my God, Shannon said hi to you on the radio and see what he says.

01:01:45 - 01:01:46 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to call him out.

01:01:47 - 01:01:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:01:47 - 01:01:50 | Speaker 5:

You need to call him out. Yeah. You're going to fill the line. You fool. Yeah.

01:01:50 - 01:01:58 | Speaker 2:

You got to do it. Play it for him and just tell him, say, you know, you are a lying uncle, okay?

01:01:59 - 01:02:00 | Speaker 4:

I will do that.

01:02:00 - 01:02:21 | Speaker 2:

What is it? A lying uncle's – I forget what the heck. There was something like that, wasn't there? I don't know. There was a name like that? I don't know where you're going with this. No, there was a saying that was something like that. All right. It's probably honestly a saying that shouldn't be used anymore. All those sayings back then were never supposed to be used anymore. My dad used to say it. All right.

01:02:21 - 01:02:36 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the morning everywhere you go on Twitter, Facebook, and IG at Mojo in the morning. Hell, we're even on the overhead in Kroger. And find us on the iHeartRadio app and listen to the Mojo podcast every day.

01:02:37 - 01:03:12 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30. Am I calling KP's number? Is that right? We dial KP up so that we kick off the contest during the Dirty. Do that right now if you can. Shannon, give me a quick dirty story, and then I'll kick off because we need to. Here's the deal. It's an hour for Mojo's OnlyFans that Jackie has to read the book Everyone Poops on Facebook Live. So you'll go to Facebook Live in just seconds here, and then she's got to be on there for a full hour doing Everyone Poops. Go ahead. What's the first dirty story?

01:03:12 - 01:03:25 | Speaker 5:

Well, Jerry Springer passed away at the age of 79 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. and I actually didn't realize that the Jerry Springer show ran for as long as it did. More than three decades. The first show debuted in 1991.

01:03:26 - 01:03:32 | Speaker 2:

Remember, he started taping it in Chicago and then had to move to Connecticut, I think, because there was like cheaper fees or something like that.

01:03:32 - 01:03:47 | Speaker 5:

A lot of shows actually tape in Connecticut. I know all of like the home shopping networks and QVCs and whatever. A lot of them tape there. I did not know that. This is just a day of education for me. But I wanted to pull a clip from the very last appearance that Jerry made on the Mojo in the Morning show. Here you go.

01:03:47 - 01:03:58 | Speaker 2:

How much of your show, like, behind the scenes is just insane? Like, where these, you know, people go backstage into their dressing rooms. And have you ever caught these guys, like, having sex in their dressing rooms?

01:03:58 - 01:04:13 | Speaker 3:

Well, I don't get to meet the guests. I'm not, you know, I'm not allowed to know who the guests are or what their stories are until the show starts. That's why at the beginning of every segment you always see me saying, so what's going on? Because I really don't know. So, no, I don't get to see anything that goes on backstage.

01:04:13 - 01:04:16 | Speaker 2:

Do your people talk about, like, some of the stuff that goes on back there?

01:04:16 - 01:04:32 | Speaker 3:

Do they tell you the stories? crazy but that you know they're coming on the show the only way you're allowed to be on the show based on the company who owns us we're not allowed to have anyone on the show that either isn't crazy or is involved in a crazy situation your show is such a guilty pleasure and i love

01:04:32 - 01:04:47 | Speaker 2:

the fact that you know when it runs here in town that they also rerun it like in the middle of the night sometimes like on friday or saturday nights yeah because i will sit there forever and watch that show you're a lonely man by the way remember that bad phone line that we used to have all the Last time, that was our bad line.

01:04:47 - 01:04:50 | Speaker 5:

It was like line six. It was horrible. Always, for like two years. It was so bad.

01:04:51 - 01:04:55 | Speaker 2:

What an amazing guy. People were very torn up about him dying because it was part of your life.

01:04:55 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 5:

Lydia from our show, she was in legit tears, and I said,

01:05:00 - 01:05:05 | Speaker 3:

Somebody on our group text was like, Lydia, are you seriously crying about Jerry Springer? It was me. And she's like, what did you say?

01:05:06 - 01:05:15 | Speaker 5:

I used to have some pizza rolls and watch them after school. I didn't know you were really upset. I'm sorry I mocked you. I genuinely thought that was a joke.

01:05:15 - 01:05:31 | Speaker 4:

All right, we got to kick off our OnlyFans real quick before you do your next story. Jackie is right now in position. She's in the women's restroom here at iHeart. And she's going to For $500 Read the book Everyone Poops For over an hour Jackie are you there?

01:05:33 - 01:05:34 | Speaker 6:

Jackie's reading right now

01:05:34 - 01:05:41 | Speaker 4:

Okay we got to Oh so I'll hear her on Facebook live And she's really good Is she?

01:05:43 - 01:05:46 | Speaker 6:

Yes Jackie's on Facebook live right now She's so reading

01:05:46 - 01:05:47 | Speaker 4:

Alright so if you

01:05:47 - 01:05:52 | Speaker 6:

You're talking to me much I have to read Go do your radio thing

01:05:52 - 01:05:59 | Speaker 4:

Okay. All right. Sorry about that, Jackie. Okay. So, Jackie is going to be reading.

01:06:03 - 01:06:09 | Speaker 6:

She's about three times into this book right now. She's 10 minutes into this hour-long reading

01:06:09 - 01:06:20 | Speaker 4:

session. She's got to keep going. All right. Go check it out right now. You can go check it out right now on our Facebook Live. She's there. Hold on a second. Look at her bedazzled glasses,

01:06:20 - 01:06:24 | Speaker 3:

His bedazzled water cup. I'm obsessed with her.

01:06:24 - 01:06:40 | Speaker 5:

How long? So I'm pretty sure he has pretty big poop. Some stop to poop. Others do it on the go. I don't know if that's a hippo.

01:06:40 - 01:06:42 | Speaker 6:

That's how his poop looks. But they got this white and brown.

01:06:43 - 01:06:43 | Speaker 5:

I love her commentary.

01:06:44 - 01:06:52 | Speaker 4:

All right, so go check it out. It's on our Facebook Live. And you can comment and cheer her on as she tries to win some money for OnlyFans, our Mojo's OnlyFans. What's next, Tori?

01:06:53 - 01:06:57 | Speaker 3:

All right, last night at the NFL Draft that I know you were watching.

01:06:58 - 01:07:09 | Speaker 1:

2012 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions select Jameer Gibbs, running back, Alabama. Yeah, Coach Dan. What the hell was that?

01:07:10 - 01:07:17 | Speaker 4:

I feel like I need that drop right now because everybody's like, they got a running back? What the hell was that?

01:07:17 - 01:07:18 | Speaker 3:

Coach Dan Campbell explaining.

01:07:19 - 01:07:45 | Speaker 2:

This is somebody that Brad, myself, the staff, personnel department, we all fell in love with this guy a long time ago. And as you go through the process, it only grows. And he pops off the tape. He's dynamic. He's explosive. And he's an unbelievable human being and a worker. And he was a big-time program. Led him in rushing and receiving. And we just felt like he fit us. He brings an explosive element to our offense.

01:07:45 - 01:07:50 | Speaker 4:

We all thought that it was just going to be a bunch of defensive guys. Maybe a quarterback they might take. I don't know.

01:07:51 - 01:07:56 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, well, and then they had the 18th pick as well, and they selected Iowa, thank goodness, linebacker Jack Campbell.

01:07:56 - 01:08:14 | Speaker 4:

So they traded down two to get another draft pick in the second round. So the second round, which starts today, they'll have, I think, three draft picks or maybe two draft picks, but they'll have a lot more guys. So it'll be interesting to see who they pick, but I don't know. Maybe they know more than we know. I mean, they definitely know more than I know. All right, next door.

01:08:15 - 01:08:29 | Speaker 3:

James Corden's final episode of CBS's The Late Late Show aired last night featuring a really great taped segment with Tom Cruise where they performed some stunts and they did some duets from The Lion King.

01:08:29 - 01:08:35 | Speaker 4:

Hakuna Matata. What a wonderful phrase.

01:08:35 - 01:08:36 | Speaker 3:

Fully in costume.

01:08:37 - 01:08:42 | Speaker 5:

Hakuna Matata. Ain't no passing craze.

It means no worries for the rest of your days It's our problem-free philosophy

01:08:54 - 01:09:15 | Speaker 3:

Harry Styles and Will Ferrell were his final guests. There were also goodbyes from a slew of other late-night hosts, Seth Meyers, Kimmel, Fallon, Colbert, David Letterman. Going forward, CBS will replace the Lately Show with a reboot of that game show at midnight, which will be executive produced by Stephen Colbert. Megan, go ahead.

01:09:15 - 01:09:19 | Speaker 5:

I'm so mad that they hinted at a One Direction reunion for weeks.

01:09:19 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 3:

I know I'm going to play that clip next week, though. Okay. Or next hour. Okay. Yeah, yeah, because he did comment. Well, Harry did comment on that a little bit. Megan Markle signed with this big Hollywood agency called WME this week. She's going to be working on a new business venture, or should I say ventures, that have nothing to do with acting. The agency going to focus on building out Meghan's film and television production ventures, brand partnerships, and all sorts of other stuff. Again, acting will not be an area of focus. And then this agency will also represent Archwell, her content creation label that she launched alongside Prince Harry.

01:10:00 - 01:10:28 | Speaker 1:

She's kind of been keeping a low profile since the news came out that she's not going to be at King Charles III's coronation. But some dirty about her today. And out this weekend, Are You There God? What does whale poop look like? Anybody out there that goes to the beach, any surfers out there, can you tell me, what does whale poop actually look like? I love that she's ad-libbing. How long into this until you think she memorizes the whole book?

01:11:11 - 01:11:12 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. You know what?

01:11:13 - 01:11:18 | Speaker 3:

Is it just floating on the water? When you're out there surfing, is it on your surfboard?

01:11:20 - 01:11:21 | Speaker 4:

This is Jackie.

01:11:21 - 01:11:31 | Speaker 3:

When you're out there swimming and the water gets in your mouth. Well, it might not be just water. It could be a little bit of boop.

01:11:31 - 01:11:34 | Speaker 4:

She's very good, by the way, KP. She's excellent at this.

01:11:34 - 01:11:38 | Speaker 2:

She's excellent. And at one point she said, I'm glad this is not a scratching sniff book.

01:11:40 - 01:11:55 | Speaker 4:

Go check it out. Give her a little love, too, okay? Maybe write a comment or at very least give her a thumbs up or a heart or something. But this is Jackie Mojo's OnlyFans. She's doing this for cash.

01:11:55 - 01:12:05 | Speaker 3:

What is she talking about KB

01:12:05 - 01:12:08 | Speaker 2:

Honestly there's so much echo in here I can't even hear

01:12:08 - 01:12:12 | Speaker 4:

Okay so she's talking about somebody that just pulled his pants down

01:12:12 - 01:12:13 | Speaker 2:

And pooped

01:12:13 - 01:12:27 | Speaker 4:

She's amazing Alright I'll check back with you in just one second okay That's unbelievable My favorite is She's just sitting there And she's on the toilet and she's, like you can see her, going.

01:12:27 - 01:12:28 | Speaker 1:

She's comfy.

01:12:28 - 01:12:54 | Speaker 4:

Going. Yeah, go check that out. Be safe. Throwback Throwdown is coming up in moments. Actually, not moments. We'll have that in just a few. Who's going to win this week in the Throwback Throwdown? We got some concert tickets to give away, throwback songs, and more. It's Mojo in the Morning Show. So it's funny when you realize that you have that child. Shannon, last night you realized as you were at Smith's T-Ball game.

01:12:54 - 01:12:57 | Speaker 1:

It's not T-ball. It's coach pitch this year.

01:12:57 - 01:12:57 | Speaker 4:

Oh, wow.

01:12:57 - 01:14:23 | Speaker 1:

He's moved up. He's moved up. Last year was T-ball. Okay. This year is coach pitch. But Smith-Lyle's dedication to the sport has remained the same from year to year. And that dedication is very low. Oh, really? You guys, it's so funny. Please, please, please promise me you will come to one of his games one time. I'd love it. Because some of his teammates. And by the way, Smith is five, almost six. Okay? So just to give you some backstory here, some of his teammates are really into it. You can tell their parents really push them to know what they're doing and they're practicing in the backyard after dinner at home. We don't really do that. Perhaps it's apparent because last night he was playing left field and then he was playing third base at one point. And my sweet five-year-old spent the majority of his time not catching balls. But drawing things in the dirt, throwing his glove up in the air and catching it. And at one point, actually ran away from where he was supposed to be watching third base, totally across the baseball diamond to me sitting right there, holding out his glove. And I said, Smith, Smith, what are you doing? You got to go back. And he goes, Mom, look, I made homemade muck in my baseball glove. I'm like, go back to third base. But I have a great video. By the way, I'll have to post it on our Instagram.

01:14:23 - 01:14:25 | Speaker 4:

What does the coach say when this happens?

01:14:25 - 01:14:51 | Speaker 1:

Honestly, well, the coach is pitching. So the coach is busy doing that. And then there's another coach out there who will say, Smith, Smith, come on, pay attention, pay attention. But sometimes he can't just watch Smith. And I don't want to be the mom that's yelling from the sidelines, Smith, stand up. I did that twice last night. I was like, Smith. And I kind of made the motion for him to stand up. but yeah he's just he's just in his own little world and he's real happy about it it's funny

01:14:51 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 4:

jacob was that for us jacob was a really good athlete like but he hated sports and he still does but he um would be out there on the field and

01:15:00 - 01:15:29 | Speaker 2:

next thing you know they would go where's the right fielder and he'd be like on the swing sets yeah playing on them yeah i remember chelsea one time we were over we were over at uh the park right by our house and chelsea one time uh was like dealing with uh luke who was a baby at the time and um she's having to like run and get him off the swings because the balls are getting hit to his position which is no longer out there in the outfield yes yeah i was always jealous of the

01:15:29 - 01:15:34 | Speaker 4:

girls that can make a dandelion crowns out in the outfield and i would say can you go make me one

01:15:34 - 01:15:55 | Speaker 6:

oh my gosh at the end of the game all the little girls would have low crowns yeah like anything but actually participating in the game and mind you he's great when he's at bat but if he if if his team's not i don't even know the lingo up to bat or whatever he is you can tell i'm a great sports parent but he is just not honestly i don't know if it's just

01:15:55 - 01:16:39 | Speaker 2:

maybe it's a baseball thing because baseball is kind of boring but i think that there's other things that that happens in sports where your kid just doesn't want to be there have you ever seen a kid in karate that doesn't want to be there no and like if you put so we put joe in karate and there was a kid that was in joe's karate you know class that was there and it was taekwondo and it was this guy in west bloomfield that had his taekwondo thing off of walnut like really nice guy and the guy was like really like serious about it like he it was like karate kid thing man it was like sensei you had to call him sensei or whatever the whole deal is and this one kid literally would punch him in the nuts to get out of class because he didn't he didn't want to do that and but the problem is that mom and dad were just trying to keep the kid active what's up

01:16:39 - 01:17:06 | Speaker 3:

robin hi mojo hi everybody i love you guys we love you too robin what's up robin well i used to work for rah-rah in rochester as a young uh you know in my early 20s and these podium leagues like age five and six and and i'm telling you you had to make up your own rules and umpiring too because every hit would be a home run because they could never throw anyone out

01:17:06 - 01:17:13 | Speaker 2:

yeah clearing the bases yep ashley what's going on as much on the morning

01:17:13 - 01:17:40 | Speaker 4:

oh good morning everyone shannon don't worry that's not the only one my daughter maya who's six i mean let me tell you she's a little social butterfly twirling around like a golden retriever like oh there's a ball well that's so good and it's like why yeah because she literally even in t-ball you know she's like wanting to play around in the sand and then she's great at batting but catching? She wants to be out there. Let me check the grass, Mom.

01:17:41 - 01:17:59 | Speaker 6:

Yes. At one point, I saw him. He was doing this dance, and you can't see it, but I'm doing it for Mojo, and he came off, and I went to go give him his water bottle. I go, what were you doing out there? And he goes, Mom, all the pretty girls walk like this. And I'm like, oh, my God. No.

01:17:59 - 01:18:01 | Speaker 4:

You're just like, no. And you're just like,

01:18:01 - 01:18:03 | Unknown:

it's fun.

01:18:03 - 01:18:21 | Speaker 2:

Can I tell you something that one of the teams did that we played against that was really smart, one of the parents realized the kids didn't want to do it, so they made it fun for them during the game. So they did walk-up music for the kids. See, that is so smart. And then they played music in between innings, and the kids were into it.

01:18:22 - 01:18:24 | Speaker 6:

Maybe I could do that. You should do that.

01:18:24 - 01:18:29 | Speaker 2:

Ask every kid what they want for walk-up music. Just bring a little Bose speaker or something. Yeah. What's up, Crystal?

01:18:30 - 01:19:01 | Speaker 1:

Hey, what's up? You know, it's really funny. My daughter's 27 now, but she was five years old. Her sister's a track star, and she was running in with the little kids, and it was in Raleigh-Durham, 100-something degrees, in the stands. She's running, got her little number on. Next thing we know, she ran past the coach, off the track, up into the stands, sat down and said, you know what? She told me and my mother, I'm not doing this no more. I quit. She said, you know what? I'm done. She literally just ran off the track, past the coach. She's like, what are you doing? She said, I quit.

01:19:01 - 01:19:29 | Speaker 5:

that's my kind of kid jill what did your kid do so she was on a team opposing her best friend who was covering second base and my daughter was running from first to second base and her friend saw her and she got off the base and went running toward her and they met and just hugged and hugged And the coaches are yelling, dagger, dagger.

01:19:32 - 01:19:51 | Speaker 2:

That's great. Actually, that's always the best, too. I always realize when the kids play each other and they're at the same school and they're opposing each other and they don't even care about the game. It's like you might as well just have a play date at home and it's so much more fun and easier. Cassidy, Shannon's son, Smith, is that kid in Little League. What's up?

01:19:51 - 01:19:52 | Speaker 4:

What's up?

01:19:53 - 01:19:53 | Speaker 2:

Hi.

01:19:54 - 01:20:10 | Speaker 4:

Hi. When my daughter was in first grade, kindergarten, we started putting her in sports. is where she wanted to start, and when they'd have to run for the ball, nope, she'd lay down. It was time to take a nap. Perfect. Perfect response to any athletic activity.

01:20:11 - 01:20:19 | Speaker 1:

Would people also do this in the stands? Would they go, oh, my God, look at that kid taking a nap, and then you would join them and go, yeah, whose kid is that?

01:20:20 - 01:20:25 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, no. I was begging her to get up. It was embarrassing for sure.

01:20:26 - 01:20:39 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. You know what, though? It's all right. Every kid has got to, like, you know, have their own little style. That's their – that would be – what would Ted Lasso say about that? He would probably come up with some kind of cool thing to say about that.

01:22:26 - 01:22:26 | Speaker 1:

01:22:27 - 01:22:28 | Unknown:

Here we go.

01:22:29 - 01:22:31 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the Morning's Throwback Throwdown.

01:22:32 - 01:22:58 | Speaker 1:

All right, throwback throwdown. Your choice is Shannon, Megan, or Mike. First pick in the draft goes to Melissa. Who do you choose? I choose Mike. You got Mike. Yes. There you go. Who, by the way, will be starting his vacation after this. So he might have short-timers disease.

01:22:58 - 01:22:59 | Speaker 3:

A little bit, yeah.

01:23:00 - 01:23:12 | Speaker 1:

You've got to be careful of this one. But you know what, though? He's going for a second win in a row. So this is good. I'm ready. Next pick in the draft, the women are on the board. Troy, who do you choose?

01:23:13 - 01:23:26 | Speaker 3:

I feel horrible because I love Megan. She is my favorite. I'm a Toledoan. I've been listening to her since the morning rush, but I know her record, and Karma's going to bite me in the butt, but I pick Shannon's. Oh, so wait a second.

01:23:26 - 01:23:29 | Speaker 4:

Get out of here. I don't even know if I want to represent you. I'm your sloppy seconds.

01:23:29 - 01:23:32 | Speaker 1:

No, no, no. He's picking you because she says you're better than Megan.

01:23:33 - 01:23:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Yeah, Karma's going to bite me in the butt. She's a Toledoan, but I have faith in you, Shannon. Oh, okay. All right. Oh, okay. Troy? I know Megan's record, and you won last week.

01:23:42 - 01:23:44 | Speaker 5:

I hope I never meet you, Troy.

01:23:45 - 01:23:48 | Speaker 3:

Hey, you have me. Even worse.

01:23:50 - 01:24:03 | Speaker 1:

Troy, the person that might be beating you today might be Tabitha, because Tabitha's got Megan, and she might actually pull off a win here today. Tabitha, say hello to Megan.

01:24:04 - 01:24:05 | Unknown:

Hi, Megan.

01:24:05 - 01:24:11 | Speaker 5:

I know you got this. Hi, Tabitha. I think I have short timers all the time, so good luck to us.

01:24:12 - 01:24:16 | Speaker 3:

If she does, I'll give Megan some hockey tickets. Well, I take it.

01:24:16 - 01:24:38 | Speaker 1:

That's such a nice guy. All right, hang on. Here we go, okay? We're going to get right to the contest. First to three, your name is your buzzer. Title and artist of the song, our producer KP, is going to keep score for us today. The first song in the Mojo in the Morning, Throwback, Throwdown, title and artist, is...

01:24:38 - 01:24:40 | Speaker 4:

Megan. Shannon.

01:24:40 - 01:24:40 | Speaker 1:

Megan.

01:24:41 - 01:24:42 | Speaker 4:

Taylor Swift, Love Story.

01:24:42 - 01:24:50 | Speaker 1:

Correct answer. And I said, Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone

01:24:50 - 01:24:54 | Speaker 5:

I'll be waiting, all there's left to do is run to me

01:24:54 - 01:24:56 | Speaker 3:

Uh-oh, sorry, horrible now

01:24:56 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 5:

I'll be the princess, it's a love story

01:25:00 - 01:25:21 | Speaker 3:

Wow, and she gets the Taylor Swift one. That's not nice. Next song in the Mojo in the Morning, Throwback Throwdown, title and artist, is... Mike. Mike. Eminem, Superman. Correct answer.

01:25:21 - 01:25:38 | Speaker 1:

I do know one thing, though. Chickens, they come, they go. Saturday through Sunday, Monday. Monday through Sunday, yo. Maybe I'll love you one day Maybe we'll someday grow Till then just sit your drunk ass on that empty runway Cause I can't be your Superman

01:25:38 - 01:25:52 | Speaker 3:

Eminem, Eminem is, by the way, so happy to be listening to this morning Because Shannon is his biggest fan Why do you always hate on Eminem so much? I don't understand that

01:25:52 - 01:25:56 | Speaker 2:

But I think it's okay to say that you're not a fan of somebody Oh, really?

01:25:56 - 01:26:00 | Speaker 1:

Because it's not that case when I say that about Taylor Swift Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo.

01:26:00 - 01:26:02 | Speaker 3:

That's true. Eminem.

01:26:02 - 01:26:05 | Speaker 2:

You don't see the tax. The Eminem fans come for me.

01:26:05 - 01:26:07 | Speaker 3:

Do they? As much as Taylor Swift fans do?

01:26:07 - 01:26:09 | Speaker 2:

Probably not as much as Taylor Swift fans.

01:26:09 - 01:26:12 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. What are Eminem fans called? If they're Swifties, what is that?

01:26:13 - 01:26:15 | Speaker 2:

I don't think they have a name. They won't.

01:26:16 - 01:26:18 | Speaker 3:

They don't put up with name stuff like that. Eminem would not allow that, would he?

01:26:19 - 01:26:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I don't think so.

01:26:20 - 01:26:24 | Speaker 3:

01:27:46 - 01:27:50 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. It sounded like an animal. Was that an animal or a child? What was that?

01:27:50 - 01:27:53 | Speaker 1:

It was me falling through a window. I'm putting windows together.

01:27:53 - 01:27:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. Are you, like, high?

01:27:55 - 01:27:56 | Speaker 1:

Just be careful. What?

01:27:56 - 01:28:00 | Speaker 3:

I'm not high like high, but are you like up in the sky right now? Like up on the house?

01:28:01 - 01:28:04 | Speaker 1:

No, I work in a window background on Hill Avenue in Tweedle.

01:28:05 - 01:28:09 | Speaker 3:

Okay, all right. Okay, Megan, you think you can win it on this next one?

When I tell you, I guess it's easier when I'm on Facebook and TikTok and I don't really realize how much time has gone by, But when you know you have to do an hour and a reading, this is a little different. This is a little challenging. But I did it. Don't ever think I'm not going to finish this challenge.

01:38:03 - 01:38:11 | Speaker 2:

I love this woman. This woman is amazing. Jackie, $500 is yours. Congratulations to you, Mojo's OnlyFans.

01:38:12 - 01:38:14 | Speaker 4:

01:38:14 - 01:38:19 | Speaker 2:

Congratulations to you. You are awesome. You're very, very cool. We love her so much.

01:38:19 - 01:38:21 | Speaker 4:

My legs are still not motioning properly.

01:38:22 - 01:39:00 | Speaker 2:

Wow. By the way, the amazing thing would be that she sat on there for over an hour and had bathroom stage fright, and then now she has to go to the bathroom after being there. Mojo's OnlyFans, next week, wait until you hear some of the challenges that we have in store for you. If you want to win some cash, listen Monday morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. 01:39:00 - 01:39:39 | Speaker 3:

well TV legend Jerry Springer died yesterday at the age of 79 he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a few months ago died at his home in suburban Chicago I mean really kept this news very very quiet only his family knew remember Steve from his show Big Steve the the guy that was always taking people off to his bodyguard. He said, he came out and did an interview earlier this morning and said he wasn't even aware that Jerry was ill. But the Jerry Springer show ran for nearly three decades. People love chanting his name, even in the strangest of places. This is from an interview he did just a few months ago, in fact.

01:39:39 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 1:

I was at a Bears game several years ago. You know, when you go in the men's room at a football game at halftime and there are 500 guys in there. Okay, so suddenly I get spotted as I'm heading to the urinal. 500 guys chanting as I'm trying to go. Jerry, Jerry. Man, that's pressure. And I'm, you know, at 70.

01:40:00 - 01:40:03 | Speaker 2:

How'd you perform? How'd you do? Well, it took me some time.

01:40:03 - 01:41:12 | Speaker 1:

It was a long performance. Isn't that great? Yeah, his last TV appearance came on The Masked Singer, where he was the Beatle. Yesterday, Ed Sheeran performed a little piece of this song, Thinking Out Loud, in front of a Manhattan courtroom. Singing, playing a few notes on an acoustic guitar during his Marvin Gaye copyright infringement trial that's been going on all week. While testifying on the witness stand, Ed played the basic four-chord progression from this song. And again, this is all because attorneys for Marvin Gaye and his co-writers say the first 24 seconds of Thinking Out Loud are very similar to the beginning of Let's Get It On. However, Ed explained the origins of this song and how it was created after the death of his grandfather and watching his grandfather's health decline. had nothing to do with Marvin Gaye. It was actually written with longtime collaborator Amy Wadge, and the song came to life after Ed happened out of the shower. He was at home. Amy just happened to be there. They were having a writing session, and he heard her strumming the chords to this song, and I was like, oh, wait, that's good. Let's go with that. So, I mean, it continues. Not today, Monday, they're all going to be back in court.

01:41:12 - 01:41:36 | Speaker 2:

That's actually a smart move on that lawyer's part, his defense attorneys, because you get him performing. He's so charming when he does. And I think that it makes a jury love him. So I don't know if that necessarily will prove that it wasn't that he stole that from the Marvin Gaye song. But it is a smart move on their part to actually have him do that instead of just talking about it.

01:41:36 - 01:42:35 | Speaker 1:

Tucker Carlson out at Fox News. However, another conservative news outlet, Newsmax, wants him to be more than just the face of their network. Sources tell me Newsmax is doing everything it can to sweeten the deal for Tucker to come on board, including floating the idea of letting him program the whole channel, not just his own show. Now, Newsmax hasn't formally offered Tucker a job. They actually can't because he can't have formal discussions due to his current Fox News contract. But they're telling everybody they can around him, look, we want to make this happen, relay the news. I know News Nation, the network that Chris Cuomo is on, is showing some early interest as well. And I was reading that the Fox News ratings in Tucker Carlson's old time slot have tanked since he's been gone, which is really interesting. Brittany Greiner giving her press conference since being released from a Russian prison.

01:42:35 - 01:42:48 | Speaker 4:

Well, I can say for me, I'm never going overseas to play again unless I'm representing my country at the Olympics. You know, if I make that team, that would be the only time I would leave the U.S. soil. And that's just to represent the USA.

01:42:49 - 01:43:31 | Speaker 1:

And Rihanna is now a Smurf, officially. She made a surprise appearance at CinemaCon yesterday to announce that she's voicing Smurfette in the Smurfs movie that's expected to hit theaters. not until February of 2025, but production's happening right now and she said she loves this gig because she gets to show up in her pajamas in her third trimester and she gets to play a little blue badass. She also said she hopes this gives her some cool points with her kids one day. And by the way, in addition to starring in and producing the movie, she's also going to be creating and performing some original music for the film, so we'll get some new songs from her. 01:43:42 - 01:44:11 | Speaker 2:

Hannah Banana on the phone with us this morning. Hi, Hannah. Hi. How are you doing here? Hannah, it's almost time for me to finally call it quits for the entire week. I was so tired yesterday. Was out late yesterday. And thank you to everybody that came out to the Planet Fitness to help raise money for Make-A-Wish. It was amazing. We did, like, an awesome amount of money with our raffle that we had. But I'm tired this morning.

01:44:12 - 01:44:13 | Speaker 4:

Me too. It's okay.

01:44:14 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 2:

I know. It's so funny, too, because my favorite is you get all the people that just go in and go work out, like, at that time between 5 and 7 o'clock. And they all know each other. It's wild because I don't really have set times. I only go work out when I like feel guilty about something I just ate you know it's usually like after I've had a big Jets pizza or something and everybody that works out there like knows each other and they go hey John and then I so I got on a treadmill and I'll give you your prize here in a second I got on a treadmill just kind of joke with somebody and a person says I'm sorry that's and it was I forget what the girl's name was that's hers everybody has their own spot oh yeah And you've got to abide by that. So, Ari, you're a winner. Congratulations.

01:45:00 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 1:

NF tickets.

01:45:00 - 01:45:01 | Unknown:

01:45:02 - 01:45:12 | Speaker 1:

We're setting you up with tickets to go see NF in Grand Rapids at Van Andel Arena. Tickets on sale right now, Ticketmaster.com. Have a great time, okay?

01:45:13 - 01:45:14 | Speaker 2:

Thanks. Thank you so much, Mojo.

01:45:14 - 01:46:01 | Speaker 1:

We love you. Thanks for listening to the show. Hang on the phone. We'll get your tickets. I don't want to stop. I don't want to. I'm not going to stop down yet. I'm not going to. I'm going to keep going. Is that okay? Yeah. You guys okay? I'm good. So, because this story from Megan is going to require a little bit of time. And I don't know how much time I will have if I get into a bunch of commercials now. We might just have to run the last hour of the show. It might be, instead of commercial free, it will be all commercials for the last hour of the show. All right. It is Mojo in the Morning, Channel 955 in Detroit, 104.5 SNX, Grand Rapids, Muskegon, and 92.5 KISS FM in Toledo. And speaking of Toledo, Megan witnessed a crime yesterday in Toledo.

01:46:01 - 01:46:05 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you guys know how I'm not dramatic at all? Eh, yeah.

01:46:06 - 01:46:10 | Speaker 1:

I was going to let that be silent for a second. Shannon's nodding at me to just play along there for a second.

01:46:11 - 01:47:13 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm not dramatic at all. I almost died yesterday, and I'm still here. I was driving downhill. I was kind of over near the University of Toledo. And, you know, over there, it's very crazy. People drive like maniacs. People are weaving in and out of lanes. I love it. Everybody's got a place to be. And when I'm in a rush, I usually take that road. So I was on it yesterday, and we were just, you know, minding our own business, listening to some jams on the radio. And all of a sudden, you just hear tires screeching and everybody slamming on their brakes. Oh, I hate that. Oh, it was loud. Like you just heard like and then and then another car. And I was like, OK, we are going to hit the person in front of us and we are going to get smashed from behind. And you ever like go through an accident that's almost like in slow motion where you're like, all right, this is going to be happening. Just breathe. It's going to be fine. And then it doesn't happen. And the adrenaline like rushes through you.

01:47:13 - 01:47:21 | Speaker 1:

Anytime that I look at my phone to text and that happens where I almost hit somebody and I'm like, I'll never text ever again, you know?

01:47:22 - 01:48:30 | Speaker 2:

Right. So we we were like, oh, my God, I can't believe that just happens. We're inches from people like there had to have been a strand of hair in between us and the guy behind us. I mean, it's a miracle that we didn't get absolutely smashed. And we're looking at the car like two links in front of us and nobody's in front of them. and we can't figure out what is going on. Yeah. And we're looking around, and this guy on my peripheral vision starts running towards this car. And I'm thinking, maybe there's a medical emergency. Maybe something's going on. Nope, absolutely not. Reached in through the window, did a drug deal, and then ran off. Stop. I'm not kidding you. Wait, how do you know it was a drug deal? Because it was very obviously a drug deal. Like, baggy in the hand went into the window. A pile of cash came out of the window. No way, Megan. Absolutely. The thing that irritated me the most is that there were 17 empty parking lots that they could have pulled into, but instead they just slammed on their brakes in the middle of the hill and literally almost caused a seven car pile up. Now, you do you, boo. You go get the things that make you happy in life, but don't cause me to get in a car accident for you to get it.

01:48:30 - 01:48:43 | Speaker 1:

Wait, so this is, can I tell you that this is my dream come true? Like I'm one of those people that, do you ever watch that show back in the day, Cops? I think it might be back on cable or something like that Or back on the streaming

01:48:43 - 01:48:45 | Speaker 2:

Live PD is filming in Florida right now

01:48:45 - 01:49:18 | Speaker 1:

I want to watch that live I want to actually witness this stuff I love it Has anybody ever witnessed a crime? Or got a chance to be right in the center of something like that? Like a big drug deal thing or whatever? You know the whole thing with me If I wasn't a radio person, I wanted to be either a high school gym teacher or a drug dealer. No, I wanted to be a high school gym teacher or a cop. I always wanted to be a cop.

01:49:19 - 01:49:20 | Speaker 2:

I think you would be a great cop.

01:49:20 - 01:49:27 | Speaker 1:

Wouldn't I? I'd be a great cop that writes the parking tickets in Birmingham and Royal Oak or downtown Grand Rapids.

01:49:27 - 01:49:29 | Speaker 2:

You drive like the little golf cart.

01:49:29 - 01:49:38 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I'd be a cop in that little golf cart-y type thing. Or not golf cart, but what is it? It's like a little, like, covered...

01:49:38 - 01:49:39 | Speaker 2:

It's like a special vehicle.

01:49:39 - 01:49:49 | Speaker 1:

It looks like the car that used to take the pitchers to the pitcher's mound when they were coming in from the bullpen in baseball. And they're driving it around all day. Wow, that's wild, Megan.

01:49:49 - 01:49:56 | Speaker 2:

I know. It was kind of exciting. After the fact that I realized, like, okay, we didn't total this car, it was kind of fun to watch.

01:49:57 - 01:50:14 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's kind of cool. Oh, we've got some people that have witnessed a crime. The only crimes that I think I have ever witnessed in my life have ever been just somebody getting arrested after the fact. Like, I've seen that happen before, like, where a car gets pulled over and they got them out of the car and they're, like, taking stuff out of the car.

01:50:14 - 01:50:30 | Speaker 5:

Right, and I am the idiot that slows down because I'm like, what are they taking out of the car? I've always wanted to be. Did you see here in the Detroit area the ladies that were busted stealing? I think they stole, like, a couple hundred Bath & Body Works candles. Yes. And they had to take them all out of the car.

01:50:30 - 01:50:35 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. By the way, I've always wanted to also be in a bank when a bank robbery took place.

01:50:36 - 01:50:36 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I don't.

01:50:37 - 01:50:39 | Speaker 1:

Yes. I want to be on the floor.

01:50:39 - 01:50:41 | Speaker 5:

My anxiety would get me. I would have a heart attack.

01:50:41 - 01:50:45 | Speaker 1:

I want to be on the floor and then whispering to the person next to me, just take off.

01:50:45 - 01:50:50 | Speaker 5:

Have I ever told you that my family was, we were involved in a drive-by shooting?

01:50:50 - 01:50:50 | Speaker 1:

Oh, geez.

01:50:51 - 01:51:03 | Speaker 5:

Did I ever tell you this story? Wow. Yeah, our house. They hit a bunch of houses. This was when I was maybe going into fifth grade. I mean, I was little. And they hit a bunch of houses on Grosseal, and we were one of them. And it was the scariest thing ever.

01:51:03 - 01:51:03 | Speaker 1:

Wow.

01:51:03 - 01:51:05 | Speaker 5:

But like nine bullet holes in our house.

01:51:05 - 01:51:07 | Speaker 1:

Oh, geez. I'm glad you guys are all right. What's up, Bella?

01:51:08 - 01:51:13 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Megan, you said you thought you were going to get smashed from behind? Oh, no.

01:51:14 - 01:51:19 | Speaker 3:

That's what she said. That's what she said. That's what she said. That's what she said.

01:51:19 - 01:51:20 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

01:51:21 - 01:51:25 | Speaker 3:

Sorry. I was like sitting at my desk, and you said that, and I immediately... You had to.

01:51:25 - 01:51:27 | Speaker 1:

I was like, that's what she said. Right. I love you.

01:51:27 - 01:51:28 | Speaker 2:

I love you for calling in for that.

01:51:29 - 01:51:29 | Speaker 1:

Ann, what's up?

01:51:31 - 01:51:59 | Speaker 2:

Hi. So I work down at the courthouse in Toledo, and so I totally get what I can say. The stuff that I read and the dumb stuff that people do and stuff that I've just witnessed when I'm driving around the city of Toledo is unbelievable. They have people that will rob a pizza delivery driver and get $5 off of them, and they'll end up catching like a felony for you know robbery charge because they wanted to rob the pizza guy

01:51:59 - 01:52:05 | Speaker 5:

for a pizza and five bucks yeah but this i mean just so blatant in the middle of a street with a

01:52:05 - 01:52:13 | Speaker 1:

bunch of other cars around right uh listen to this steph you watched the swat team swarm your

01:52:13 - 01:52:41 | Speaker 3:

neighbor's house yeah so they were running up our driveway to get through our backyard to access this other guy's backyard a block away. He was on the run from the police. He ran into a random house, this old lady who was making Thanksgiving Day dinner, and he held her hostage. It lasted several hours. She was in the process of making Thanksgiving dinner. So however it came to pass, she finished making food. She fed him. Maybe he was hungry. He fell asleep, all that turkey, I guess, and she ran out when he fell asleep, and the SWAT team ran in and got him.

01:52:42 - 01:52:47 | Speaker 1:

Wow. That's wild. And it's like true SWAT, right? They're all dressed up in like the...

01:52:47 - 01:52:53 | Speaker 3:

The whole black regalia, all the stuff they're carrying, the weaponry, they're running up our driveway up in our backyard. Wow.

01:52:55 - 01:52:55 | Speaker 1:

That's crazy.

01:52:56 - 01:52:57 | Speaker 5:

That is your dream right there.

01:52:57 - 01:52:58 | Speaker 1:

That's like honestly my dream.

01:52:58 - 01:52:59 | Speaker 5:

You'd be out there with your phone. For sure.

01:52:59 - 01:53:05 | Speaker 1:

The funny thing is I'd walk outside and I'd go, hi guys, how you doing? Is there anything that you need?

01:53:05 - 01:53:06 | Speaker 5:

I'm a member of the media.

01:53:07 - 01:53:12 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I just want you to know I'm fully credentialed. I have it right here.

01:53:12 - 01:53:15 | Speaker 5:

Might have made my own credential, but I have one.

01:53:15 - 01:53:29 | Speaker 1:

I just want you to know, seriously, before Mara McDonald comes out here and gets the exclusive, I'm Mojo from Mojo in the Morning. I'll give you the whole opportunity to tell your story right here. What's going on, Elena? How you doing?

01:53:30 - 01:53:31 | Speaker 4:

Good. How are you?

01:53:31 - 01:53:33 | Speaker 1:

Good. We're talking about how Megan witnessed a crime yesterday.

01:53:34 - 01:54:48 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. So I accidentally was part of a crime. um i was an uber driver a couple years ago and i picked up a guy and he made a pit stop to cvs um before his final destination and while at cvs it was taking a really long time and i was getting ready to ditch him i'm like this guy's taking too long and so he comes out and as he's coming out there's a store employee walking in front of him not wanting him to come out so he like kind of shoved her aside and hopped in the car and he i just left he didn't say anything and as i'm pulling out the cops were pulling in so after i dropped him off he actually asked me to drop him off at a store instead of the house he was going to i called the cvs to see if anything was related and it actually was related so technically i was his getaway driver oh my god that's amazing holy cow yeah i felt so bad i was pulling out when the cops were pulling in i should have stayed Did you get questioned? No. They told me that everything was handled. And I just, well, I gave them the information of where the address was to where I was supposed to take him. But told them that he actually wanted to get dropped off at a different location. And I gave him that information too. But no, that was it.

01:54:49 - 01:54:52 | Speaker 1:

Crazy story. That's an amazing story. Thank you for calling.

01:54:53 - 01:54:54 | Speaker 4:

You're welcome. Have a good one, guys.

01:54:54 - 01:55:00 | Speaker 1:

Appreciate that. Alice, you were in a store.

01:55:00 - 01:55:05 | Speaker 5:

When there was a holdup, this is kind of like getting, you know, being in a bank robbery. What kind of store was it?

01:55:06 - 01:55:10 | Speaker 2:

It was a tennis shoe store, a Vance tennis shoe store in California.

01:55:10 - 01:55:10 | Speaker 4:

Wow.

01:55:10 - 01:56:07 | Speaker 2:

I was a teenager, and we were closing, and these kids came in to order tennis shoes. And he put out the form with all zeros, like, you know, to pick the color and the style and all that. I'm like, that's not even right. What are you talking about? And he had this little gun pointed at me. It had, like, the two holes horizontal to each other. or didn't I look like a real gun? He goes, this is a real gun. I go, oh, my gosh, my whole blood just went to my feet. And he said to get on the ground and where's the safe and all this. And then he said we had to count. My best friend was with me because we were going to go out after we left. And he said, don't get up and count to 100. And she jumped up right when he went out the door and called 911. And they caught the guys at the gas station a few blocks away. And they said they wanted to take us with the cop car to drive by and see if it's them. But I was afraid. They said, don't worry. They won't be able to see you. We'll put our brights on them. And we saw them, and it was them. They got caught.

01:56:07 - 01:56:14 | Speaker 5:

Wow. Who robs a van store? You know what I mean? How much money is in a van store? Did they steal merchandise, too?

01:56:14 - 01:56:16 | Speaker 3:

Same thing with the Bath and Body Works thing. $500.

01:56:16 - 01:56:17 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:56:17 - 01:56:18 | Speaker 3:

Probably like $500.

01:56:18 - 01:56:20 | Speaker 5:

Did they take any shoes, though? Did they look for their size?

01:56:21 - 01:56:22 | Speaker 3:

No.

01:56:22 - 01:56:27 | Speaker 5:

What would happen if all of a sudden they're like, get on the floor? No, get up and get me a size eight.

01:56:28 - 01:56:31 | Speaker 3:

Actually, can you measure my feet? Do they still do that? Just to make sure I get the way it size is.

01:56:31 - 01:56:36 | Speaker 5:

Do you have this in blue? Wow. Amazing.

01:56:36 - 01:56:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it was pretty scary. After that, we found out they were a part of a gang, and they wanted to retaliate. So one day, about a month later, I was standing in the front window, and someone drove by really fast and shot into the glass, but it didn't hit me. That's crazy.

01:56:52 - 01:56:57 | Speaker 3:

I would not be working there anymore. They retaliated because you guys...

01:56:57 - 01:57:00 | Speaker 2:

My mom made me get out of there. Yeah. Wow. Yeah.

01:57:00 - 01:57:01 | Speaker 5:

What part of California was this?

01:57:03 - 01:57:07 | Speaker 2:

Southern California. In Glendora. It's called Glendora.

01:57:07 - 01:57:07 | Speaker 5:

I don't know.

01:57:07 - 01:57:08 | Speaker 2:

It's called the ZUSA.

01:57:09 - 01:57:21 | Speaker 5:

Man. All right. Thank you for the call. All right. Well, Megan, if somebody is listening from the TPD and wants to have an eyewitness to the drug crime that Megan witnessed yesterday...

01:57:21 - 01:57:26 | Speaker 1:

Uh-uh. I'm not a snitch. She's absolutely not.

01:57:26 - 01:57:27 | Speaker 3:

I'm not a snitch.

01:57:27 - 01:57:38 | Speaker 5:

She's absolutely worthless for you. Don't call her. All right. It is Mojo in the morning. Jackie's got to go to school, right? The winner of OnlyFans. Does she take off already and go? Or no, she's still around here.

01:57:38 - 01:57:39 | Speaker 1:

Let me go grab her real quick.

01:57:39 - 01:57:46 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, grab her real quick and we'll just say goodbye to her. Should we do a Naughty Moms Night Out to Lydia? Like the last one coming up here. Why don't we do that?

01:57:46 - 01:57:47 | Speaker 1:

We're going to pick our qualifier too.

01:57:47 - 01:58:04 | Speaker 5:

Pick the winner for the hotel. Yeah, so we'll do that coming up in just less than a couple minutes. You did a fantastic job there reading along, and you're probably tired of that book, aren't you? Should we give it to you? Would you like to take it home with you as a souvenir?

01:58:05 - 01:58:27 | Speaker 1:

Sure. I'll take it home now. If I read it again, that's a whole other comment. But, yeah, sure, I'll take it if I can get everybody to sign it. You are a great sport. And, by the way, everybody loved you who was watching the Facebook Live. I was so nervous. I'm like, oh, my gosh. First thing I said was, was there any negative comments? Was anybody like, oh, my God, her voice is getting on my nerves. Oh, my God, I wish she would shut up. No. I don't think so.

01:58:28 - 01:58:34 | Speaker 3:

The only negative comment was, maybe your British accent wasn't the best. That's okay. The other ones were spectacular.

01:58:35 - 01:59:14 | Speaker 1:

My apologies. They really want to know where you got your sparkly Tumblr, though, and your sparkly glasses. Actually, I got my glasses. They were sunglasses. I got them from Amazon, and I had my prescription put in them. and my tumblr out there got from amazon as well so yeah good old amazon now you got five hundred dollars to use any way you want to that's what i'm talking about so will i be able to send a shout out to my girls absolutely go ahead in school and they don't even know that i'm here but i want to say hello hello and i love you girls to jessica and jasmine oliver they are students over at rochester adams high school oh i did this for you girls i love you oh they had no idea that

01:59:14 - 01:59:17 | Speaker 5:

their mom was coming in to do this contest to win money?

01:59:17 - 01:59:18 | Speaker 1:

No, not at all.

01:59:18 - 01:59:21 | Speaker 5:

They're embarrassed right now? They'll never talk to you ever again?

01:59:21 - 01:59:31 | Speaker 1:

No, I think they're going to be the talk of the story. Oh, you think so? You're a cool mom. I'll do anything for my girls. I love them to death. And then my oldest daughter, Jada, she's going to make me a grandma in June. So I'm a happy person.

01:59:31 - 01:59:49 | Speaker 5:

My kids, especially my son, Luke, if I tell him, oh, I just posted a picture of me on the toilet, it'd be like, I ain't listening anymore. I ain't telling – my dad is no longer working on the radio. Mojo on the Morning Show, what's going on, Emily?

01:59:50 - 01:59:51 | Speaker 2:

Hi, yeah.

01:59:51 - 01:59:57 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Emily, I met you last night at our Make-A-Wish fundraiser at Planet Fitness.

01:59:58 - 02:00:02 | Speaker 2:

Yes, you did. Um, I'm with my grandma right now.

02:00:03 - 02:00:10 | Speaker 1:

Oh, gosh. We got to say hi to her grandma. Her grandma won Ed Sheeran tickets from us back in, what was it, 2017?

02:00:11 - 02:00:12 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:00:12 - 02:00:22 | Speaker 1:

And she won the tickets, and her grandma has been dreaming of being a Mojo in the Morning misfit. So we got to figure it out. Which, by the way, I just want Jackie to know, Jackie, you're now a misfit.

02:00:22 - 02:00:24 | Speaker 2:

Hey, that's what I'm talking about.

02:00:24 - 02:00:26 | Speaker 3:

Misfit Jackie. Am I like the oldest misfit? No.

02:00:26 - 02:00:27 | Speaker 1:

Not at all. Matter of fact, you're going to-

02:00:27 - 02:00:29 | Speaker 3:

Hot Smoking Granny is the oldest, I think.

02:00:29 - 02:00:32 | Speaker 1:

Yes, and we have another one, too. Emily, what's Grandma's first name?

02:00:33 - 02:00:34 | Speaker 2:

Kathy.

02:00:34 - 02:00:35 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Kathy.

02:00:36 - 02:00:37 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Mojo.

02:00:37 - 02:00:39 | Speaker 1:

Happy birthday to you.

02:00:40 - 02:00:42 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. I love you guys.

02:00:42 - 02:00:43 | Speaker 1:

Did you get my video message?

02:00:44 - 02:00:46 | Speaker 2:

I sure did. It made my evening.

02:00:46 - 02:00:51 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. Well, we love you, and for your birthday, we're making you a Mojo in the Morning misfit, okay?

02:00:52 - 02:00:59 | Speaker 2:

Well, people do think I'm a misfit because it's 72. I'm listening to Mojo in the Morning. Listen. We love that.

02:00:59 - 02:01:22 | Speaker 1:

I hear that. You got a beautiful granddaughter. Emily's awesome. Had some fun with her last night. We made videos for you, and so it was cool that I got a chance to do it. And how does your hair look? You were at the – what do people – what do the older ladies call the hair – going to get their hair done? Do they call it the hairdresser? Don't they call it – don't they have like a name? What do you call the person that does your hair? My person that does my –

02:01:22 - 02:01:24 | Speaker 2:

My stylist. Your stylist. I like that.

02:01:24 - 02:01:30 | Speaker 1:

See, she's cooler than most old people. Because I always remember Grandma used to always say it. I'm going to the hairdresser.

02:01:30 - 02:01:31 | Speaker 3:

Going to the beauty salon.

02:01:31 - 02:01:33 | Speaker 1:

The beauty salon, exactly.

02:01:33 - 02:01:35 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, she calls it the beauty shop.

02:01:35 - 02:01:41 | Speaker 1:

The beauty shop. Well, you look beautiful, Grandma, and we appreciate you so much.

02:01:42 - 02:01:48 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I love you guys, too. Congratulations, Shannon, on your engagement. Oh, thank you so much.

02:01:48 - 02:01:52 | Speaker 1:

Did you hear about Megan? She's pregnant. I don't know if you heard that, but that story came out.

02:01:52 - 02:01:56 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no, Megan. No, babe. No, no, no. That's my worst nightmare.

02:01:56 - 02:02:09 | Speaker 1:

Everybody congratulate her today and just tell her that we're going to make up rumors about everybody else because everybody's still congratulating Shannon on the engagement on this one here. We all need something big happening in our lives.

02:02:09 - 02:02:15 | Speaker 3:

I should be thanked for not getting Taco Bell for dinner yesterday and making my own dinner. Congratulations, Megan. Hold on.

02:02:15 - 02:02:22 | Speaker 1:

Put her back on hold. Put her back on hold for a second, okay? Hold on one second. Grandma, will you congratulate Megan? She made dinner last night.

02:02:24 - 02:02:28 | Speaker 2:

Good for you, Megan. Thank you. Oh, I make my husband cook.

02:02:28 - 02:02:32 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I love that. All right. Don't miss this.

02:02:32 - 02:02:34 | Speaker 2:

02:03:25 - 02:03:27 | Speaker 1:

I can't hear anything. Are we on the air?

02:03:28 - 02:03:28 | Unknown:

02:03:29 - 02:03:30 | Speaker 3:

Oh, wait. There we go.

02:03:31 - 02:03:36 | Speaker 1:

Are we on the air? There we are. It was like, Megan, can you hear us?

02:03:36 - 02:03:39 | Speaker 3:

Nope, not. Well, I can personally, but not on the air.

02:03:39 - 02:03:41 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you're not on the air there. All right, get Mark.

02:03:42 - 02:03:46 | Speaker 3:

Oh, and it went to that funky, I sound funky in my headphones.

02:03:46 - 02:03:48 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you know what it is. I sound like I'm talking in a garbage can.

02:03:48 - 02:03:49 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay. Yeah.

02:03:49 - 02:03:56 | Speaker 1:

Well, I think we're on the air in Detroit I don't know if we're on the air in Grand Rapids Are we not on the air in Grand Rapids?

02:03:57 - 02:03:58 | Speaker 3:

You are not on the air in Grand Rapids

02:03:58 - 02:04:16 | Speaker 1:

Oh, geez, okay You know what I think it is? It's the same thing that happened the other day Oh, boy Oh, now I'm hearing myself back at me right now Megan, there you go Hey, listen to me Sorry No, it's okay I'm going to put you down for just one second

02:04:16 - 02:04:17 | Speaker 3:

Is that better?

02:04:18 - 02:04:48 | Speaker 1:

Hello Oh, check one, two. Can you hear me differently? Yeah, no, that sounds good. That sounds good. Okay, sorry. So we're on the air in the emergency mode. We went off there just for a second, but we'll have to figure it out. There's something, you know what it is? I think there's like a loose wire or something in the building. I know it's going to sound crazy to say this, but there's like a loose wire. And then Mark had to the other day when we were right back when on the air, we had to do something because the loose wire was stuck.

02:04:48 - 02:05:00 | Speaker 3:

I'm scared. Did you touch something down there with your feet? Okay. Megan, you know where I sit because you sit here when I'm not here. Right. There are so many wires. That just stick out? That are just right.

02:05:00 - 02:05:05 | Speaker 4:

by me there's at least 10 or 11 wires right here and i didn't touch anything i don't think you know

02:05:05 - 02:05:29 | Speaker 2:

what i try not to but yeah there's stuff down there i don't know shannon shannon's fault this is like when my kids walk in the room and and they trip over the long extension cord wire i have that chelsea has been begging me for years to to fix is it me did i do probably mark is the same thing that happened the other day when we lost and did that.

02:05:30 - 02:05:34 | Speaker 4:

Just know that when you go to commercials you can't talk on the mics.

02:05:34 - 02:05:43 | Speaker 2:

Oh really? Oh my god. That's right. You'll hear us. Yeah. Mark's trying to fix it.

02:05:44 - 02:05:47 | Speaker 4:

What did we do? You cut out completely for a second.

02:05:47 - 02:05:55 | Speaker 2:

Now go back to the other one. Now go back to the other thing that we did. See if we're back on that. Check one, two. Test one, two. Test one, two. Can you hear us back on that?

02:05:55 - 02:05:57 | Speaker 4:

Megan? Oh wait. Hold on. I got to switch it.

02:05:58 - 02:05:58 | Speaker 2:

All right. Switch it back.

02:05:58 - 02:06:02 | Speaker 4:

If you go dead. Sorry. Switch it back. I love that we're doing this.

02:06:02 - 02:06:03 | Speaker 2:

It's all right.

02:06:03 - 02:06:04 | Speaker 4:

Whatever.

02:06:04 - 02:06:05 | Speaker 2:

Hello. One, two, one, two.

02:06:06 - 02:06:06 | Speaker 4:

You're good.

02:06:06 - 02:06:30 | Speaker 2:

I'm good. We're back. We're back, everybody. Hey, now. Show Shannon so that she can be your Mrs. Fix-It. It's the router. It's the router. My favorite, Mark, honestly, I don't know why we asked you what went wrong. Because we don't even know what exactly it is. But you'll tell us in such a great way Of making us feel like we're smart enough to know

02:06:30 - 02:06:37 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'm like, oh yeah It's like when the oil change guy shows me the stick I'm like, oh yeah, that's really good I have no idea what the F you're showing me

02:06:37 - 02:07:02 | Speaker 2:

Say hello to Mark, our engineer, Mark Makovich He's a Hall of Fame engineer Guy has kept us on the air for years In the worst conditions So exactly what was it again? Was it the thermal, combustible It was just the router It was the router, okay It was the router The router, Megan Megan, like it was my fault It was Megan, the router KP, you don't fix the router

02:07:02 - 02:07:06 | Speaker 1:

Is it Wi-Fi? Is it the router with the Wi-Fi?

02:07:07 - 02:07:23 | Speaker 2:

It's like the, okay, alright It's still different, but it's the same You're telling me that all these stations are being on Mark, be honest with me though How much of your job Is just plugging and unplugging And just having to reset something? I refuse to answer that

02:07:23 - 02:07:27 | Speaker 4:

Marcus was patient, man

02:07:27 - 02:07:34 | Speaker 2:

Because in my life I have seen more than ever Where just plugging and unplugging something works

02:07:34 - 02:07:37 | Speaker 4:

Yes, turning it off and on It's wonderful

02:07:37 - 02:07:56 | Speaker 2:

And I've had people come to my house to fix it I've had issues with cable Or I've had issues with my electricity And a guy comes in And he plugs, unplugs, and then charges me Like $500 to fix the stupid thing I'm stupid, I do it for free Well, we love you, Mark. Thank you. B-side, are we back on SNX, too?

02:07:57 - 02:07:58 | Speaker 1:

You are back.

02:07:58 - 02:08:13 | Speaker 2:

We are back. B-side, thank you. Thank you for that. B-side came in early so that Mike could leave after the throwback throwdown. So thank you for doing that. You're a gentleman and a scholar. Do you know how to fix any of this stuff? You've been in radio for a long time, B-side. Do you know how to fix this stuff?

02:08:14 - 02:08:17 | Speaker 1:

I just automatically assumed I have to turn it off and back on.

02:08:17 - 02:08:28 | Speaker 2:

That's it. But that's all I – I've done that before here, and it's worked. So, all right. Let me grab the Naughty Moms Night Out winner. Kim, are you there?

02:08:29 - 02:08:31 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. Yes, I am.

02:08:31 - 02:08:33 | Speaker 2:

Thank you.

02:10:00 - 02:10:11 | Speaker 1:

You, by the way, might have been one of the more emotional winners that we had this week. Not your emotion, our emotion.

02:10:11 - 02:10:14 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you're a single mom. Single mom whose husband just died, right?

02:10:14 - 02:10:16 | Speaker 1:

This is the mom whose, yeah, husband just passed.

02:10:16 - 02:10:17 | Speaker 4:

I do remember you.

02:10:18 - 02:10:23 | Speaker 2:

Yes, hi. Yeah, sorry to bring out those emotions, but thank you. I'm so excited about this.

02:10:24 - 02:10:33 | Speaker 1:

I need this. You're a widow mom. You have four kids that you've been raising by yourself, but also- With the community help in South Lyon, you said that they were great to you.

02:10:34 - 02:10:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, amazing. I mean, so I have had one to four kids in my bed every night for like 18 months. So this is such a treat. Thank you. Oh, good.

02:10:43 - 02:10:47 | Speaker 1:

I didn't ask you this question the other day. How old were the kids when their dad passed?

02:10:48 - 02:10:52 | Speaker 2:

So, goodness, nine, eight, six, and two.

02:10:52 - 02:11:03 | Speaker 1:

Holy crap. Well, you're an amazing woman. And I got a lot of text messages, too, after you won the other morning. that said that they knew who you were and your kids are like the sweetest kids in the world.

02:11:04 - 02:11:10 | Speaker 2:

Well, we're very blessed with, yeah, we're doing great. We got this. You know, they're good kids.

02:11:10 - 02:11:13 | Speaker 1:

We're getting you drunk on Friday before Mother's Day.

02:11:14 - 02:11:19 | Speaker 2:

I mean, what a better way to spend a Friday night before Mother's Day. I cannot wait. That's right.

02:11:19 - 02:11:25 | Speaker 1:

Hold on one second, and we'll get information from you so that we can get you checked in at the Daxton Hotel.

02:11:25 - 02:11:28 | Speaker 2:

Okay, thank you guys so much. I'm so excited.

02:11:29 - 02:12:01 | Speaker 1:

Listen Monday morning for your next shot to get into our Naughty Moms Night Out. Mojo on the morning show. So the other night, Thursday nights is our garbage day, or Thursday is our garbage day. So Wednesday night, I was putting the garbage out. And we had a lot of garbage this week because Chelsea and I have been kind of like cleaning things up in the house and getting rid of some stuff. And so it's bringing out the cans, but then we have all the extra stuff that we have to give, you know, get rid of. And some of it was, like, broken furniture that I don't know why we saved. Like, we put it in our storage room in the basement.

02:12:02 - 02:12:04 | Speaker 5:

Thinking one day you could maybe fix it or do something.

02:12:04 - 02:13:23 | Speaker 1:

It had a little piece of nostalgia to it, you know, that it was, you know, something that, like, the kids probably, you know, broke a tooth on or something. But so we were putting it all out in the front. And I'm bringing more and more stuff out there. And as I'm bringing more and more stuff out to go bring to the front, I get completely the crap scared out of me. I am putting it down only to have a dude standing there by my garbage, hiding behind a tree almost, looking at an item that I had just put out just a little bit ago. He was garbage picking and taking some of the stuff that we had. And I go, holy crap. And I'm like, hey, and he goes, oh, no, and he lives on the block that's right behind us. There's, like, a sub right behind us, and he lives in that sub. And he's like, oh, I'm your neighbor. And he goes, I was walking down the street, and, you know, just kind of, like, going for a late-night walk. I saw some of your stuff in here. I just wanted to see if any of this stuff was good. And he was, like, grabbing things of mine that were broken, but he was like, oh, I can fix it. I'm kind of handy and stuff. And I'm, like, looking at this thing going, I don't know if you really want that, though. Like, you know, what's going on? But then I started thinking, okay, he's garbage picking through our stuff. Maybe I need to go to nicer neighborhoods than mine and do a little garbage picking.

02:13:23 - 02:13:23 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:13:24 - 02:14:02 | Speaker 1:

And I remembered this. We talked one time on the air, way back when, about how at the end of the school year, it's the best garbage picking ever to go to Ann Arbor where U of M is. because all the rich New York kids, the rich East Coast kids, parents buy them like these great condos and apartments and stuff and then furnish them with like really nice furniture. And then at the end of the school year, they don't want to pay for storage. So they just like throw it out on the streets and they get rid of it all.

02:14:02 - 02:14:19 | Speaker 3:

Absolutely genius. Something I have never thought of was going to Ann Arbor to do this, But you best believe I'm about to see my dad's pickup, drive up there, and just start coasting along until I can get some new stuff. Isn't it almost time? I got a big stain on my couch right now. I need a new one.

02:14:19 - 02:14:38 | Speaker 1:

That's actually the thing I was wondering, Shannon, is I wonder if this is the time when everybody should go out there. Can you call us up? When do they graduate? If you're a student or if you have a student at U of M, will you call us up and tell us when everybody starts moving out and moving back home? because i think that this might be a great idea to go out and get some of this stuff

02:14:38 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 5:

i actually just garbage picked something i was obsessed did you i needed a um i was gonna buy one anyway a a dog crate remember i was talking about this yeah i was searching for cute dog crate on instagram and somebody in my neighborhood had i feel like it was perfectly fine it just needed to be repainted, put one at the curb. So I took it and

02:15:00 - 02:15:04 | Speaker 1:

is now in my living room. Oh, wow. Spray-painted it white. It's great.

02:15:04 - 02:15:07 | Speaker 2:

Did you look at it to make sure it doesn't have, like, any

02:15:07 - 02:15:15 | Speaker 1:

diseases on it? I don't know. I feel bad. I'm wondering if a pet died or something, and that's why it was at the curb, but... Yeah.

02:15:15 - 02:15:56 | Speaker 2:

No, I'm... So, if I'm... My memory serves me correct. A friend of mine went to Ann Arbor after we talked about how Ann Arbor is, like, a perfect place for garbage picking, and these kids will throw away Like brand new television No come on They'll put them on their front So you know who the You know how U of M is It's kind of a little snobby Don't be mad at me But it's a little bit of snobby kids that go there And what ends up happening is These kids are like rich kids Whose parents you know live in Connecticut And like have like a A home in the What do they call it I have a home in the Hamptons

02:15:56 - 02:15:57 | Speaker 1:

The Hamptons

02:15:57 - 02:16:08 | Speaker 2:

And I live in Manhattan And the parents don't want Them bringing this crap home Because they bought it at Ikea You know, for cheap

02:16:08 - 02:16:10 | Speaker 1:

I know, but some of that Ikea stuff's real cute

02:16:10 - 02:16:11 | Speaker 2:

I know

02:16:11 - 02:16:13 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so U of M commencement is this weekend, apparently

02:16:13 - 02:16:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really? Somebody just texted Megan

02:16:16 - 02:16:21 | Speaker 5:

I'll be in your harbor this weekend What's going on?

02:16:21 - 02:16:22 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the Morning Hey, Nikki

02:16:22 - 02:16:28 | Speaker 6:

Hi You will get the best stuff out in Bloomfield Township in Bloomfield Village.

02:16:28 - 02:16:28 | Speaker 2:

Really?

02:16:29 - 02:16:36 | Speaker 6:

I got a brand new wicker patio set, the pots that they throw out, the vases, vases, whatever the planter.

02:16:36 - 02:16:37 | Speaker 2:

They call them vases there.

02:16:38 - 02:16:53 | Speaker 6:

The vases, yes, darling. Yes. They have the best stuff, and they just toss it. And I secretly hide from my boss, and I pick it up. She's one of the bougie Birmingham Bloomfield people.

02:16:53 - 02:16:58 | Speaker 2:

Wow. Is it weird, though, that if you invite your boss over to your house, she's going to see her old furniture sitting out there?

02:17:00 - 02:17:07 | Speaker 6:

No, she doesn't throw anything away. It's her neighbors. It's her neighbors that I'm picking the stuff up from.

02:17:07 - 02:17:09 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning, what's up? Monica?

02:17:10 - 02:17:11 | Speaker 6:

Hey.

02:17:11 - 02:17:17 | Speaker 2:

What's going on? We're talking about garbage picking on the Ann Arbor campus.

02:17:18 - 02:17:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so I didn't go to Ann Arbor, but I went to another Michigan college, and we had a lot of international students that couldn't take anything back with them, And so they would throw it all out. And the dining hall cooks used to go garbage pick at the end of every year.

02:17:35 - 02:17:37 | Speaker 2:

What kind of stuff were we talking about? Can you give us a description?

02:17:39 - 02:17:45 | Speaker 3:

Furniture. I think even sometimes people would find Xbox controllers to that extent. Oh.

02:17:45 - 02:17:59 | Speaker 2:

Really? Really nice stuff that you would probably go to a store to go buy. and it would be, you know, I don't know, hundreds to maybe, what, thousands of dollars if you were going to go buy some of the stuff. Sarah?

02:18:01 - 02:18:11 | Speaker 5:

Yes, I live in Ann Arbor, and every year it's amazing. And this weekend is the weekend to do it. It's graduation, so next week all the students will be clearing out. Wow.

02:18:11 - 02:18:21 | Speaker 2:

And what are the perfect areas to do this? Because I know they've got those nice apartments right there on Main Street, But are there homes that are better to go to?

02:18:22 - 02:18:37 | Speaker 5:

Any of the high-rises. So there are dumpsters behind, like, Landmark and I can't think of Paragon, I think, is one of them. Any of the high-rises, there are dumpsters behind them. And you can go right up to them and get them. I got a brand-new suitcase one year.

02:18:38 - 02:18:43 | Speaker 2:

Really? Like what? Like one of those nice, like, hard-shell suitcases that cost a lot of money?

02:18:44 - 02:18:51 | Speaker 5:

Yep, because it was too heavy for the student. She was up putting it out, and I was like, why are you putting this out? It's too heavy for her to travel with it.

02:18:51 - 02:18:58 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's a good find. Have you ever seen them throw away, like, a television? Because if I'm not mistaken, I've had a friend that had gotten a television.

02:18:59 - 02:19:06 | Speaker 5:

I haven't seen televisions, but you have to go out, like, as they're moving out to get stuff like that. There are people who do this for a living, pretty much.

02:19:06 - 02:19:09 | Speaker 2:

All right, Sarah, we're coming over to see you this weekend, okay?

02:19:09 - 02:19:10 | Speaker 5:

All right, yes.

02:19:11 - 02:19:14 | Speaker 2:

Appreciate the update on that. Asia, what's up?

02:19:16 - 02:19:36 | Speaker 4:

iasia what's happening how you doing not so much i'm born and raised in ann arbor and around now in june are the best times i used to help my dad clean up the student buildings after they moved out we've got liquor dressers tvs radios all types of stuff it's like it's the

02:19:36 - 02:20:08 | Speaker 2:

best time to go would your dad ever get some of these items and then wrap them up and give them to you as a present for like christmas no no need to wrap them up because i was right there taking them along with them you know what's amazing is that we're i mean we're talking like the stuff i was throwing away the other day it was like broken bad and kind of you know furniture like you'd buy like a target that's you know probably last year like maybe I don't know, five, ten years. But the stuff that these kids get really nice things when their parents come here and visit at the beginning of the year from New York.

02:20:09 - 02:20:32 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, because they're only using them for a couple months. And all of them, when they're going back to out of state, they can't take them with them. So they're leaving so much brand new things. They're not being even used for a whole year. So I'm telling you, it is gold, gold, gold. Like around now is the best time to go. I love it. I love it. I love it. And then everything's brand new. Like, these kids pull up to school on the first day and Porsches and all types of stuff. They do not care.

02:20:32 - 02:20:37 | Speaker 2:

Wait, do they drive their cars back with them, or do they ever leave their cars on the curb? I want to know.

02:20:38 - 02:20:41 | Speaker 1:

I wish. I wouldn't be driving this Equinox right now.

02:20:43 - 02:21:01 | Speaker 2:

All right. Well, if you see Shannon, Megan, myself, KP, Lydia, all out there this weekend, don't say anything. We love when people come up and say hi to us, but we just don't want somebody to call us out. so that we look like we're just coming in town just to kind of steal all the stuff.

02:21:02 - 02:21:04 | Speaker 1:

I most definitely won't, but I take hush gifts, so.

02:21:06 - 02:21:09 | Speaker 2:

We'll figure it out for you. Thank you for calling.

02:21:09 - 02:21:11 | Speaker 1:

Sounds good. Have a great morning, you guys.

02:21:11 - 02:21:13 | Speaker 2:

We love you for listening.

02:21:14 - 02:21:16 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:21:18 - 02:21:34 | Speaker 2:

So we were just talking about garbage picking in Ann Arbor with the U of M kids, like leaving here in commencements and everything this weekend. This texter just comes in I used to drive on a truck And I picked up a Louis bag

02:21:34 - 02:21:35 | Speaker 3:

No

02:21:35 - 02:21:39 | Speaker 2:

Somebody left Somebody didn't want to move their Louis bag back with them

02:21:39 - 02:21:41 | Speaker 3:

That must have been fake

02:21:41 - 02:21:42 | Speaker 2:

Is that unbelievable?

02:21:42 - 02:21:46 | Speaker 3:

That was a fake Nobody would leave their Louis on the curb Are you kidding me?

02:21:46 - 02:21:54 | Speaker 2:

I'm telling you So Do you ever see what these kids in New York are like?

02:21:54 - 02:21:54 | Speaker 4:

No

02:21:54 - 02:22:16 | Speaker 2:

Have you ever known anybody that's from New York, like, that grew up in New York? Yeah. The kids whose parents live in Manhattan, like, have the home in Manhattan, and they grow up in Manhattan, they're, like, so wealthy that they have that home, and then they have the home that's, like, a humongous estate that's, like, out in the Hamptons, like we're talking about. And these kids kind of, like, they live on trust funds and stuff.

02:22:16 - 02:22:23 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. You know what they also have in New York? A lot of street fake bags. Canal Street, girl. Okay.

02:22:23 - 02:22:33 | Speaker 2:

Those kids aren't buying street. Canal Street. You know who buys street fake bags? Me. Michigan people that go to New York and visit. We're the ones. And then we go also and take the picture out in front of the Saturday Night Live studios.

02:22:33 - 02:22:48 | Speaker 4:

Honestly, it's very cool. Yeah, that's what we do. While we're talking about garbage picking, I got to give a shout out to my two garbage guys, Druski and Dank. And Dank wants everybody to know that he is single ladies. So reach out to me and I relate. You don't know Druski and Dank, Megan?

02:22:48 - 02:22:49 | Speaker 2:

She talks about these guys.

02:22:50 - 02:22:53 | Speaker 4:

All the time they write notes and talk on my driveway every week.

02:22:53 - 02:22:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, they're like, Shannon has like a friendship with her garbage men. They're the best. Which is awesome.

02:22:58 - 02:23:00 | Speaker 4:

They're honest to God, the best, yes.

02:23:00 - 02:23:04 | Speaker 3:

Is this why no one picks up my trash? Because they're leaving Shannon notes on the driveway?

02:23:05 - 02:23:09 | Speaker 2:

Is Dank named Dank because of obvious reasons, or do we know?

02:23:09 - 02:23:13 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. They don't dry test the garbage guys, do they? Why he got his name.

02:23:14 - 02:23:19 | Speaker 2:

Drewski and Dank. But you know what they're like? They're like our Mojo in the Morning misfits, the Plow Guys.

02:23:19 - 02:23:19 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

02:23:19 - 02:23:22 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, they're like, they're your version of the Plow Guys. What's going on?

02:23:22 - 02:23:33 | Speaker 4:

All right, James Corden's final episode of The Late Late Show aired last night and featured a great segment, a taped segment, nonetheless, but that he did with Tom Cruise. Did a little Lion King in costume.

02:23:33 - 02:23:39 | Speaker 2:

What a wonderful phrase. A tuna matata.

02:23:40 - 02:23:42 | Speaker 3:

Ain't no passing crazy.

02:23:42 - 02:23:47 | Speaker 4:

See the people in the audience, like at this, was it Broadway? Yeah. That they were at, were just shocked.

02:23:47 - 02:23:54 | Speaker 2:

They were shocked. Tom Cruise walks on stage. Tom Cruise is trying to, like, change his image, isn't he? because he's trying to be more of a personality.

02:23:55 - 02:24:11 | Speaker 4:

He's trying to be more likable. We also saw that last carpool karaoke with Adele. We played you that earlier in the week. I'm not going to play it again. Harry Styles and Will Ferrell were James Corden's final guests. And Harry, teasing One Direction fans, keeping the hope alive.

02:24:12 - 02:24:13 | Speaker 2:

Will there be a One Direction reunion?

02:24:15 - 02:24:17 | Speaker 4:

This is part of Spill Your Guts.

02:24:18 - 02:24:41 | Speaker 1:

Will that happen? sorry i think if uh i would never say never to that i think uh if there was if uh i think if there was a time when we all felt like that was what we wanted to do then then i i don't see why we wouldn't

02:24:43 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 4:

i loved his yellow suit last night oh yeah what a stupid answer the answer makes me so mad as a a fan like you know that we were all expecting it and then you're like maybe never say no the answer is you guys don't get along we know it we all know

02:25:00 - 02:25:13 | Speaker 8:

Just be honest. Somebody around there is a Justin Timberlake. Everybody's going to want to do it, but one person. Yeah. And, yeah. Stupid dumbass. Exactly. Don Lemon, the anchor who was

02:25:13 - 02:25:18 | Speaker 7:

fired from CNN this week, given one of his first interviews in the wake of being let go. Life goes on.

02:25:18 - 02:25:33 | Speaker 3:

You know, that's behind me and we'll see what happens in the future. But I'm going to spend my summer on the beach and on the boat and with my family and just chill out and then I'll see what happens next. happens next but I am fortunate enough to be in a position where I can do that where I have time

02:25:33 - 02:25:39 | Speaker 7:

I don't have to rush to ask if he had any regrets over anything he did during his 17 year stint

02:25:39 - 02:25:52 | Speaker 3:

I live my life with no regrets and whatever I did I did and I own and so no I don't look back and I don't want to change things in the past you can't turn back time last night at the NFL draft

02:25:52 - 02:25:57 | Speaker 7:

I think a lot of Lions fans were going, wait, huh? What'd you do?

02:25:57 - 02:26:06 | Speaker 2:

2012 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions select Jameer Gibbs, running back, Alabama.

02:26:07 - 02:26:12 | Speaker 7:

So you had said when we talked about this earlier in the show that you were thinking maybe they were going to hire a quarterback.

02:26:13 - 02:26:24 | Speaker 4:

Hire, I like. Draft, sorry. You can tell I'm a really good football fan. That's a very cute version of the draft. Draft. They were going to draft a defense. I thought they were going to draft.

02:26:24 - 02:26:26 | Speaker 7:

Or you said maybe a quarterback.

02:26:26 - 02:26:40 | Speaker 4:

But that Will Levis guy from Kentucky is still sitting on the board, and a lot of people have said that this guy is actually kind of a Jared Goff. So I wondered if that was the case, if they were going to go impossibly. And they might in the second round, which begins here real soon, right?

02:26:40 - 02:26:46 | Speaker 7:

Do you think it had anything to do with the guys that got suspended for a betting? Because four got suspended, two got let go, right?

02:26:46 - 02:26:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but there were receivers and tight ends and stuff like that. I don't know. Oh, okay. Yeah.

02:26:51 - 02:26:53 | Speaker 7:

Coach Dan Campbell, by the way, commenting last night.

02:26:53 - 02:27:19 | Speaker 5:

This is somebody that Brad, myself, the staff, personnel department, we all fell in love with this guy a long time ago. And as you go through the process, it only grows. And he pops off the tape. He's dynamic. He's explosive. And he's an unbelievable human being and a worker. And he was a big-time program, led him in rushing and receiving. And we just felt like he fit us. He brings an explosive element to our offense.

02:27:20 - 02:27:38 | Speaker 7:

Lions also had the 18th pick last night. They selected Iowa linebacker Jack Campbell. And NSYNC's Lance Bass said that despite what you might think, he wasn't rich when NSYNC was at the height of popularity. Actually, quite the opposite. He didn't start making money until the band went away.

02:27:39 - 02:27:57 | Speaker 6:

Well, the worst thing is people thinking that we were rich because we were not. Lou Pearlman stole all your money. We were famous, but we were not rich. Yeah, I mean, I made way more money after NSYNC than I did during NSYNC. I mean, he really took the majority of all of our stuff. And the record label, too.

02:27:57 - 02:28:05 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, ended up making his money from a string of TV and film projects, some Broadway shows. I think he had a radio show for a hot minute. He's also involved in some movie productions.

02:28:06 - 02:28:09 | Speaker 4:

He was doing this whole space thing, too, wasn't he? Also working with...

02:28:09 - 02:28:13 | Speaker 7:

I don't know if he was working with or if he was just supposed to go or went up in space.

02:28:13 - 02:28:14 | Speaker 4:

I thought that he and...

02:28:14 - 02:28:15 | Speaker 7:

Did he end up going yet?

02:28:15 - 02:28:19 | Speaker 4:

Well, no, I thought that Elon Musk and him had something going on.

02:28:20 - 02:28:20 | Speaker 7:

I thought it was Jeff Bezos.

02:28:21 - 02:28:24 | Speaker 4:

Was it Bezos? Yeah, it was one of the rich guys. So somebody was doing something with him.

02:28:25 - 02:28:28 | Speaker 7:

All right, for all of today's Dirty, check out that Dirty page on thejournthemorning.com.

02:28:29 - 02:28:53 | Speaker 4:

So it just came out this week of what our three most requested songs are for the week. Can I play you those songs just to kind of get an idea, see if your musical taste fits the majority of our listeners. The most requested song this week, Still Flowers. How many weeks has this song been number one on Billboard's charts? It's been a lot. I mean, she might be setting a record here soon.

02:28:57 - 02:28:58 | Speaker 8:

Miley Cyrus.

02:29:03 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. I'm kind of like at the point of exhaustion with Miley's Flowers. Our second most requested song, Miguel, Sure Thing, which is a song that came out years ago, but because of TikTok is now famous again. If Chelsea and I listened to music when we were doing adult things, this would be a song that I would think would be a good song. She doesn't like listening to music. And a new song, The Weeknd and Future's Double Fantasy.

02:30:00 - 02:30:16 | Speaker 2:

The third most requested song This song might be a hit Or at least our listeners think so Those are our three most requested songs Tell us what your favorite song is You can text 95500

Celebrity Dirt Directly from the source It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30

02:30:21 - 02:31:29 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning Follow us on all of our social media, Mojo in the Morn, Mojo in the Morning, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok. We would love for you to be part of the show. Also, make sure if you are a fan of the show, but don't get an opportunity to listen live to it. You can listen to the podcast, go anywhere you get podcasts and just Mojo in the Morning and then have it become something else that you follow and then also maybe download to your phone so that you can go oh okay I want to hear that you know story like this particular one a member of our show Lydia who is somebody who answers the phones here on the show you know her from us talking about her and referring to her she just recently unfollowed her sister yeah I sure did which is wild because I remember and I've known you for, you know, a little bit of time, not a ton of time, but I remember when you actually started talking to me about your brother and sister, I thought you were an only child.

02:31:29 - 02:31:40 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. A lot of people do because, um, my sister and my brother are from my dad's previous marriage. So he was married before he was with my mom, of course, and then they got divorced and then

02:31:40 - 02:31:47 | Speaker 2:

he married my mom and they had me. So it's your stepsister. So she's my half, half sister. Yeah. I didn't know that you had a sister either.

02:31:47 - 02:32:18 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. So I had to unfollow her recently because growing up, this is really hard, she wasn't really a part of my life. Like she just didn't want to be there. And I think it was mostly because it hurt her a little bit to see her parents split up. So my dad and her mom divorced and then it hurt her to see my dad get remarried and marry my mom and they had me. and growing up my brother was very present like he wanted to be in my life he wanted to be involved

02:32:18 - 02:32:28 | Speaker 2:

and her brother or your brother is also her full her brother brother yeah okay sorry no because no because it's interesting I'm sorry because I know you're emotional about this this is tough

02:32:28 - 02:33:30 | Speaker 4:

for you yeah it is so growing up I really tried to have a relationship with her and she grew up most of the time in Chicago and my brother and I grew up in Michigan so she lived with her mom and her stepdad majority of the time and uh well I tried connecting with her on social media I even drove to Chicago once and she stood me up on a dinner date basically like we're supposed to have dinner together and she said she wasn't going to make it once I drove there I was only 16 years old oh my god um but still like throughout the years I've tried to have a relationship with her and recently um I noticed she was viewing a lot of my Instagram stories but she would never interact with me and what hurt the most is that she knows I've been trying for a relationship but she was always willing to have some with my cousins or she would invite all my cousins to come to Chicago and stay with her and they would post pictures which they're allowed to do that they're close with her and that's okay but what I struggled with the most is seeing that it's like I wanted

02:33:30 - 02:33:41 | Speaker 5:

that like you're my sister you know and also it had to be hard for you to know she's checking in she's curious about what I'm doing because I can see her seeing, you know, watching all my social

02:33:41 - 02:34:09 | Speaker 4:

media, but there's no like next step to that. Yeah. So I finally made the jump to unfollowing her because I felt like it was so toxic to see what she posts and who she interacts with. And she started, it's so hard. It's, it's, and I feel like it's something that's underrated kind of, it's like, you need a sister. Like if you have that sibling, like I, I want her around, I love her by default, even though I feel like I don't know her.

02:34:10 - 02:34:11 | Speaker 2:

Do you ever talk to your dad about that at all?

02:34:11 - 02:34:14 | Speaker 4:

I do. Yeah. And it bothers him as well.

02:34:15 - 02:34:31 | Speaker 2:

It's tough. Blended families I know are tough. So I don't know her story of, you know, she's got obviously, you know, still heartbreak over what happened with her mom and your dad. But she shouldn't take it out on you.

02:34:32 - 02:34:35 | Speaker 5:

Does she have a relationship with your dad? No. Her dad? No.

02:34:35 - 02:34:40 | Speaker 2:

she doesn't okay so that's probably it's probably more in line with that why she doesn't

02:34:40 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 3:

want to you know like you said why take it out on Lydia right it's not like she had anything to do with especially it would be one thing if you guys just didn't have any contact throughout the years and then it's awkward and whatever but you actually actively trying to have a relationship seems weird that she would push you away yeah and we have a big

02:35:00 - 02:35:23 | Speaker 2:

age difference so she's 38 and I'm 25 it's crazy to me that through my teenage years I tried reaching out to her and I'm looking at that now as someone who was her age when I was trying to reach out and I was like I would never shut out my little sister like I would never want to do that and she was an adult yeah so the um the you know that's the one thing with uh the you know stories

02:35:23 - 02:36:27 | Speaker 3:

on Instagram when you see people looking at your stories but you know these people either don't like you or these people are kind of have animosity towards you that just seeing them see it drives you crazy it's like somebody driving by your house you know what I mean like driving by your house and you're like why are they driving by my house and not even talking to me that's what ends up happening so unfollowing her and you know and blocking her is probably the best thing you can do for your mental health yes because you probably don't need to see it like there's people on on social media that honestly I don't have a relationship with I'm like why am I following them and I see their stuff all the time and And it just, all it does is just make me sad, you know? I appreciate you sharing that. And the reason I most appreciate you sharing that is because, guess what? There's probably somebody listening right now that's either you or your sister. Yeah. And if at all you talking about this could bring them together, or possibly if your sister ever hears this and hears you verbalize how much you want to be able to have a relationship with her, maybe she will come around.

02:36:28 - 02:36:31 | Speaker 2:

And I'm very open to that. I'm sorry.

02:36:31 - 02:36:49 | Speaker 3:

I know. God, I hate when women cry. You know what happens when they cry? I always feel like I'm the one that made them cry. I do. I have like that. Oh, my God. I know. I'm just like, geez, why did we do this topic right now? Just kidding. I'm good.

02:36:50 - 02:36:50 | Unknown:

I'm good.

02:36:51 - 02:36:58 | Speaker 3:

Shannon, give her a hug for God's sake. Shannon, you have like 8,000 sisters. Can you give her one of your sisters, for Christ's sake?

02:36:58 - 02:36:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I know.

02:37:00 - 02:37:12 | Speaker 3:

You might not want one or two of them. I'm just kidding. Jamal? They're the best. Yeah. Jamal, what family member did you on? First off, say something to Lydia to make her feel good. Jamal, do you have a joke or anything?

02:37:14 - 02:39:49 | Speaker 1:

I'm not a good jokester. All I can say is, Lydia, hold your head up. You got a lot of people around you that loves you, I'm pretty sure. I don't know you very well, but I can definitely tell that, you know, you've got a lot of people around you that loves you, that treats you, you know, like a sibling. So I would definitely say look more forward to that. But my comment is I'm pretty much in the same exact situation. The only thing I have not done is unfollow because I kind of monitor the situation. But I have an older brother on my dad's side, and our relationship has been, it was, like, real steady. But as we grew up and gotten older, started our own family, it drifted apart much more. And some of my family members kind of say that it's because of the relationship between me and my dad that my brother kind of just, you know, went away. on his own but my brother kind of kept uh in contact with me he would call me or text me on my birthday or anything like that but lately it has gotten to the point to where uh even my dad has kind of uh drifted away from him um recently uh well last year i got married in june and i wanted my brother to be a part of my wedding i wanted all of my brothers to be a part of my and he was a very big part of that um in me growing up and becoming a man and i wanted him to be there for that milestone and did it was there he was not um he leading up to it um he didn't i didn't hear from him i constantly contacted him asked him about you know things that were coming up that it was getting real close um and my wife tried to keep me calm about it and i was i was just i was really fed up about it because again he was a really big part he didn't show up um he had an excuse later on uh basically telling me and i i'm one i don't like the excuses i want you to be able to do do what you're saying yeah and in the end he basically just came to me and told me, like, I should have been there. I just told him, well, you know, that already happened. I just need you to be there more often.

02:39:49 - 02:39:52 | Speaker 3:

When you told him, did it help it at all?

02:39:54 - 02:39:55 | Speaker 1:

A little bit.

02:39:55 - 02:40:00 | Speaker 3:

Okay, because that's what I'm wondering with Lydia here. I'm wondering if Lydia tells...

02:40:00 - 02:40:12 | Speaker 5:

or if her sister hears about this maybe it would make her go you know what your sister doesn't nobody wants to be outwardly hurting people right

02:40:12 - 02:40:14 | Speaker 1:

and hopefully

02:40:14 - 02:40:23 | Speaker 5:

she's you know able to listen to this and you're an awesome person beyond

02:40:23 - 02:40:56 | Speaker 3:

I think sometimes too like god I really hope she listens to this because i think sometimes for people they look back they if they really stop and are very honest with themselves and examine the situation they go i don't even really understand why i feel this way about lydia in particular in the first place you know what i mean it's just like animosity and resentment that's built up over time but like what even started it is it why is it still worth feeling this way like again like megan said it this you didn't cause this yeah and what's confusing

02:40:56 - 02:41:24 | Speaker 1:

for our family members and our cousins is it's so unspoken so we're at weddings or you know we're at family parties and my sister doesn't come to majority of these things I've seen her only at one wedding and it was our brother's wedding and she didn't speak to me at all but I think where it confuses other people is it's like why don't they talk you know there's nothing that went on between the two of them they should talk Sunita what's up hey how are you guys good what's up

02:41:24 - 02:41:26 | Speaker 5:

You want to say something to Lydia? It says here.

02:41:26 - 02:41:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, my heart literally just broke. Like, I completely understand where she's coming from. I grew up, I found out I had a brother and sister in third grade for my teacher. Just, like, they didn't want to be a part of my life. Their moms told them, like, I'm not their sister, yada, yada. And, like, it hurts as you get older. And luckily for, like, me and my siblings, we now have a friendship. We're close with each other. But, I mean, I get it.

02:41:51 - 02:42:04 | Speaker 5:

How did you find out that you had a brother and sister? by my third grade teacher holy crap she broke the news to you well no like so my sister she's like

02:42:04 - 02:42:36 | Speaker 2:

hey how is she doing um like my teacher asked how my sister's doing and i was so confused i was like i don't even know anyone by that name and then i went home and told my mom and she's like well you have siblings oh my god they don't want to be a part of your life unfortunately so like that's how i found out but like i said as i got older like we got a relationship we're good with each other now but it's hard but honestly like you have such a great radio family lydia you have an amazing circle around you like you'll be good it is her loss if she does not want anything with

02:42:36 - 02:42:44 | Speaker 5:

you i'm so blessed thanks janita uh heather uh what's happening well i just wanted to tell lydia

02:42:44 - 02:44:17 | Speaker 4:

that, you know, I have siblings, half-siblings, that are 16, 17, 18 years younger than I am. And my sister in particular, she's 16 years younger. And she was, when my stepmom was pregnant with her, I was not a very nice human at the time, you know, being 16, and I was adamant that I was not going to like this baby, And I was not going to be nice, and the moment she was born, I just fell in love with this little baby and felt horrible for how I was and just took care of that little baby. And my sister thought I was her mom and thought I would ask me on her 18th birthday, and we are best friends to this day. But I just want to tell Lydia that, you know what, it's not your fault. and it's her loss, and shame on her, and maybe that jealousy just never went away, and you are better than that, and shame on her for not letting go of that animosity and that anger and that hurt, and you don't deserve that. You don't deserve those feelings, and you know what? She's missing out on a wonderful relationship and a wonderful person because I can't imagine my life without that little sister that I didn't think I wanted because she's amazing.

02:44:17 - 02:44:39 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, you know what? I will say this, though. I pray that this makes her come around, you know? Last call from Ashley, and then I've got to wrap this up because Lydia has to go back to the phones. Hi, good morning. Yes, but the thing is you can call Lydia then and tell her personally what you think Because people already do call and talk to you. Like, you give therapy, don't you?

02:44:39 - 02:44:39 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I do.

02:44:39 - 02:44:40 | Speaker 5:

On the phone lines.

02:44:40 - 02:44:40 | Speaker 1:

I love our listeners.

02:44:41 - 02:44:56 | Speaker 5:

And a lot of listeners probably didn't even realize that you go through this. Because, you know, it's rare that you come in and share a story with us like this. Ashley, Lydia is here right now. She just told us a story. You heard her talk about her older sister that doesn't want a relationship with her.

02:44:57 - 02:45:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and I wanted to say that there is an elephant. in the room and things that people don't talk about and that is definitely cutting off family when it's important to your well-being and living um and it's if it's um mentally taking a toll on you it's okay if you need to cut off family and people will be like oh but that's your family that's your blood honestly it's me it doesn't matter if they are not a good person if they treat you the way you shouldn't be treated why should that person be involved in your life and it's just there's so many people that stick up for bad people in the world and if they are not good for your well-being it is okay to cut someone else off or block them or do what you

02:45:42 - 02:47:18 | Speaker 1:

Stop it! Dank!

02:47:19 - 02:47:21 | Speaker 4:

How you guys doing? What's going on?

02:47:22 - 02:47:26 | Speaker 3:

I am so excited to get to talk to you because we've only ever talked through chalk messages on my driveway.

02:47:28 - 02:47:33 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'm out here at the dump right now. I'm standing in the rain, but I was like, I'm going to call on to see if I can get on the radio.

02:47:34 - 02:47:52 | Speaker 1:

It's nice to have you on here with us. So, Dank, you will write notes. You and what's the other driver? Drewski! Drewski, Maine. So Dank and Drewski are the garbage men in Shannon's neighborhood. And you guys write notes to her in her kids' chalk, or do you bring your own chalk?

02:47:52 - 02:47:57 | Speaker 4:

No, they bring their own. Yeah, we bring our own. We find it on the route, and we just leave notes.

02:47:57 - 02:48:05 | Speaker 1:

Really? What other people are you leaving notes for? Like, do you leave notes for other customers of yours? No, it's just Shannon.

02:48:05 - 02:48:10 | Speaker 3:

I love you guys so much. No, you're the single one, right? Are you the one that wrote the note this week that you're single and ready to mingle?

02:48:11 - 02:48:12 | Speaker 4:

Yep, yep, yep.

02:48:12 - 02:48:17 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so everybody wants – I need to get a picture of you because people want to see what you look like.

02:48:18 - 02:48:21 | Speaker 4:

Oh, God. All right. I'll send you what you guys want. Yeah.

02:48:21 - 02:48:28 | Speaker 1:

Send it of you and Drewski. I want to see what you – yeah, Drewski too. With the truck, okay? With the truck?

02:48:28 - 02:48:32 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I'll see if I can get that done. I'm not on his truck today, but I'll see if I can get that done today.

02:48:33 - 02:48:41 | Speaker 1:

Dank, I have a question for you. This is Dank, Shannon's garbage man. How did you know that it was Shannon's garbage? Like, explain that to me.

02:48:42 - 02:48:48 | Speaker 4:

My buddy Nick that works here, he saw her one day outside on his pole, and he's like, oh, my God, that's Shannon from Mojo in the morning. Oh, okay.

02:48:48 - 02:49:03 | Speaker 3:

Well, I have to tell you, I appreciate you guys so much because there are some Wednesday mornings when I forget to put my garbage can at the curb. Yeah, we know. You know what they do? They go up, and they get it for me. What? They do. I know they're the best. How the heck does that happen?

02:49:03 - 02:49:08 | Speaker 1:

What? They're the best. My garbage men. Can I complain about my garbage men for a second?

02:49:08 - 02:49:10 | Speaker 3:

You need to tell your boss you deserve a raise.

02:49:10 - 02:49:49 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. If everybody knew that you did that, you guys would never get your route done. My garbage, man, let me tell you what those bastards do, all right? Those lazy SOBs, my garbage, they have a thing that actually grabs my garbage can and puts it in their truck. Crap throat goes all over the street, boxes and things that fly out of there. They don't even get out of the truck to pick this stuff up. I figure after garbage day on Thursdays in my neighborhood, I'm picking up everything. I feel like, you know what, I feel like the guy that got in trouble in his community service was to have to go pick up trash on the side of the road because that's what I'm doing when this happens.

02:49:49 - 02:49:58 | Speaker 3:

I am so salty that Shannon's guys goes to get her trash can. When I put mine out on the curb and they'll still just not pick it up. They'll just drive right by my house.

02:49:59 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 1:

You're the best.

02:50:00 - 02:50:11 | Speaker 4:

Oh, and so everyone knows, let me throw this out there, if your garbage cans are upside down, that's because we've got to let the compost drivers know that those cans don't have garbage. So people are wondering why the garbage cans are upside down.

02:50:11 - 02:50:13 | Speaker 2:

A little inside. There you go. Hey, question.

02:50:13 - 02:50:16 | Speaker 3:

Hey, am I allowed to leave you, like, beer and stuff or no?

02:50:16 - 02:50:17 | Speaker 2:

Beer, why beer?

02:50:17 - 02:50:22 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. Oh. So they can, you know. I've left them a tip. I left them a tip at Christmas time. Please tell me you got it.

02:50:22 - 02:50:28 | Speaker 4:

I assume you guys can leave stuff, but obviously you won't be indulging to after work. No, okay, yes, that's it.

02:50:28 - 02:50:44 | Speaker 2:

Dank, did you start, like, doing all this nice stuff for Shannon when she got divorced and became single? I didn't even know Shannon was divorced. Oh, really? Okay. All right. Because I thought to myself, I'm like, oh, that's what it takes. You know, when she was married, you know.

02:50:44 - 02:50:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it wasn't. They weren't going off to get the can when I was married.

02:50:47 - 02:50:54 | Speaker 2:

If that was the case, I wouldn't get married because I would want to have my garbage men still think that there's a chance.

02:50:55 - 02:51:00 | Speaker 4:

Well, I started listening a lot because Drewski listens every morning. He's been listening for 14 years.

02:51:00 - 02:51:10 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Thank you, guys. You're the best. He was on the 5 at 6.55 a couple times. Oh, my God. We didn't even know that. Well, you tell Drewski that we said hi, Dank. Have a great one.

02:51:10 - 02:51:11 | Speaker 3:

Send us a picture.

02:51:11 - 02:51:12 | Speaker 2:

I love you, buddy.

02:51:13 - 02:51:14 | Speaker 4:

All right, guys. Have a good day. I got to get back.

02:51:15 - 02:51:16 | Speaker 3:

So thank you for the call. Okay. Bye, Dank.

02:51:17 - 02:51:24 | Speaker 2:

Shannon's garbage, man. Duty calls. That's right. Got to get through the route. All right. Here we go.

02:51:25 - 02:51:28 | Speaker 5:

It's Mojo in the morning's Throwback Throwdown.

02:51:28 - 02:51:41 | Speaker 2:

All right, Throwback Throwdown. Your choice is Shannon, Megan, or Mike. First pick in the draft goes to Melissa. Who do you choose?

02:51:42 - 02:51:43 | Speaker 1:

I choose Mike.

02:51:43 - 02:51:55 | Speaker 2:

You got Mike. Yes. There you go. Who, by the way, will be starting his vacation after this. So he might have short timers disease

02:51:55 - 02:51:55 | Speaker 1:

A little bit, yeah

02:51:55 - 02:52:08 | Speaker 2:

You got to be careful of this one But you know what though, he's going for a second win in a row So this is good I'm ready Next pick in the draft, the women are on the board Troy, who do you choose?

02:52:09 - 02:52:23 | Speaker 5:

I feel horrible Because I love Megan She is my favorite, I'm a Toledoan I've been listening to her since the morning rush But I know her record And Karma's going to bite me in the butt But I picked Shannon. Oh, so wait a second. Get out of here.

02:52:23 - 02:52:25 | Speaker 3:

I don't even know if I want to represent you. I'm your sloppy seconds.

02:52:26 - 02:52:29 | Speaker 2:

No, no, no. He's picking you because he says you're better than Megan.

02:52:29 - 02:52:29 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:52:30 - 02:52:33 | Speaker 5:

See, I'm kind of going to bite me in the butt. She's a Toledoan, but I have faith in you, Shannon.

02:52:33 - 02:52:35 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay. All right. Oh, okay. Troy?

02:52:35 - 02:52:37 | Speaker 5:

I know Megan's record, and you won last week.

02:52:39 - 02:52:43 | Speaker 3:

I hope I never meet you, Troy. Hey, you haven't met me.

02:52:44 - 02:52:45 | Speaker 5:

Even worse.

02:52:45 - 02:52:47 | Speaker 2:

All right. Troy.

02:52:47 - 02:52:49 | Speaker 5:

I've been listening for years.

02:52:49 - 02:53:00 | Speaker 2:

The person that might be beating you today might be Tabitha, because Tabitha's got Megan, and she might actually pull off a win here today. Tabitha, say hello to Megan.

02:53:01 - 02:53:02 | Unknown:

Hi, Megan.

02:53:02 - 02:53:07 | Speaker 3:

I know you got this. Hi, Tabitha. I think I have short timers all the time, so good luck to us.

02:53:09 - 02:53:12 | Speaker 5:

If she does, I'll give Megan some hockey tickets. Well, I take it.

02:53:13 - 02:53:36 | Speaker 2:

That's such a nice guy. All right, hang on. Here we go, okay? We're going to get right to the contest. First to three, your name is your buzzer Title and artist of the song Our producer KP is going to keep score for us today The first song in the mojo in the morning Throw back, throw down Title and artist is Megan

02:53:36 - 02:53:38 | Speaker 3:

Taylor Swift, Love Story

02:53:38 - 02:53:40 | Speaker 2:

Correct answer

02:53:46 - 02:53:48 | Unknown:

I'll be waiting.

02:53:49 - 02:53:53 | Speaker 5:

All there's left to do is run through me. Uh-oh. Try. Oh, wow.

02:53:53 - 02:53:59 | Unknown:

I'll be the princess. It's a love story. Baby, just say yes.

02:53:59 - 02:54:18 | Speaker 2:

Wow. And she gets the Taylor Swift one. That's not nice. Next song in the Mojo in the Morning, Throwback Throwdown, title and artist, is... Oh, uh... Mike. Mike. Eminem, Superman. Correct answer.

02:54:18 - 02:54:36 | Speaker 1:

But I do know one thing, though. Chickens, they come, they go. Saturday through Sunday, Monday. Monday through Sunday, yo. Maybe I'll love you one day. Maybe we'll someday grow. Till then, just sit your drunk ass on that empty runway. Oh, cause I can't be your Superman. Can't be your Superman.

02:54:36 - 02:54:44 | Speaker 2:

Eminem, Eminem is, by the way, so happy to be listening to this morning because Shannon is his biggest fan.

02:54:44 - 02:54:45 | Speaker 1:

Can't be your Superman.

02:54:45 - 02:54:49 | Speaker 2:

Why do you always hate on Eminem so much? I don't understand that.

02:54:49 - 02:54:55 | Speaker 3:

But I think it's okay to say you're not a fan of somebody. Oh, really? Because it's not that case when I say that about Taylor Swift.

02:54:55 - 02:54:56 | Speaker 1:

Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo.

02:54:56 - 02:54:58 | Speaker 2:

That's true. Eminem.

02:54:59 - 02:55:02 | Speaker 3:

You don't see that. to ask the Eminem fans come for me.

02:55:02 - 02:55:04 | Speaker 1:

Do they? As much as Taylor Swift fans do? Probably not as much

02:55:04 - 02:55:05 | Speaker 3:

as Taylor Swift fans.

02:55:05 - 02:55:09 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. What are Eminem fans called? If they're Swifties, what is that?

02:55:10 - 02:55:13 | Speaker 3:

I don't think they have a name. They won't. They don't put up

02:55:13 - 02:55:15 | Speaker 1:

with name stuff like that. Eminem would not allow that, would he?

02:55:15 - 02:55:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I don't think so.

02:55:17 - 02:55:21 | Speaker 1:

All right. Next song in the Mojo in the Morning Throwback Throwdown. First off, KP, score update?

02:55:21 - 02:55:26 | Speaker 3:

I was going to ask. You want a score update? Yes. Megan and Mike, we got one neck to neck and neck here. One and one. Shannon with nothing.

02:55:27 - 02:55:33 | Speaker 1:

Next song in the Mojo in the morning throwback throw down is

02:55:33 - 02:55:38 | Speaker 2:

Megan. Macklemore Thrift Shop with Ryan Lewis.

02:55:39 - 02:55:39 | Speaker 1:

Wow!

02:55:40 - 02:55:44 | Speaker 2:

I was getting ready to scream my name. Wow, yes!

02:55:44 - 02:55:48 | Speaker 3:

Troy is like sweating right now. I love that.

02:55:49 - 02:55:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh, look who showed up today.

02:55:58 - 02:56:00 | Speaker 3:

All right.

02:56:01 - 02:56:02 | Speaker 1:

Big mistake, Troy.
