I am kind of a wimpy Cuban guy, you know what I mean?

00:03:21 - 00:03:26 | Speaker 2:

I eat half an Oreo with the cream scraped off, and I gain another butt cheek, just like that.

00:03:26 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 6:

Ladies and gentlemen, introduce the Mojo in the morning.

00:03:33 - 00:04:19 | Unknown:

Showtime. We'll be right back.

00:04:19 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 5:

Hey, good morning, and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. Nice to have you here. Wore the roses this morning on the show, and a girlfriend suspects that her boyfriend is cheating, yet he's been very upfront about what she's really worried about, and that is some kind of flirty text messages between him and a co-worker. Now, she'll explain more coming up here, and then we'll make a phone call. But I don't know how most women would feel or most guys even if their significant others started getting flirty text messages.

00:05:00 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 2:

messages from somebody that they worked with but he shows them to her as if to say hey look what she's sending me um we'll do a war of the roses coming up here in a little bit that you must hear so stick around for that uh shannon what's the big dirty stories of the day are there any crazy

00:05:18 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 1:

stories coming in i feel like there's so much stuff today i mean taylor swift is hat and heavy and madly in love with a new man. Oh. She has definitely moved on in the wake of her split from Doe Elwin, so we'll talk about that. Why does she- Got some dirt on Yellowstone and Kevin Costner.

00:05:37 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah, their divorce and stuff, or just the actual show show?

00:05:40 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 1:

The fate of the show as well. Oh, okay. Yeah.

00:05:43 - 00:05:47 | Speaker 2:

Taylor is able to find these guys so fast, doesn't she?

00:05:48 - 00:05:52 | Speaker 1:

Well, and this one, she's already met his mama.

00:05:52 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. That's how serious it is. You know what sucks? It sucks because most of my friends are on Hinge and Bumble.

00:06:01 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:06:02 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 2:

And it's like, I don't know, crickets out there as far as good people to connect with. Okay, but she's Taylor Swift. I understand that. Okay. But I have friends of mine that are beautiful people, and I think that they're as beautiful and talented as Taylor Swift. They don't have the platform that she has. Whenever I see these celebrities That kind of quickly Are dating somebody else I always wonder Did they go out and actually meet them Somewhere and go out and ask them out Or did their people do that

00:06:35 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 1:

Did their agent contact His agent What did you say I bet it's their people

00:06:43 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 2:

It's got to be right Wouldn't you love to have people

00:06:48 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 1:

In this case it's another musician and they've performed together before so there, you know, there was history. So this was a person that possibly was around. I'm sure she had his cell phone number. And vice versa. Here's what I'm

00:07:00 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 2:

offering up for all of my single friends. All the single friends that are listening. Male and female. I'll be your people. Would you like that?

00:07:09 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 1:

You love a good setup. Would you like me?

00:07:12 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 2:

I could, I, you know what? Megan, hire me.

00:07:16 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 1:

Thanks. If you want

00:07:18 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 2:

I'll be the person that will Field the phone calls As soon as you tell me that You're single and you're out of a relationship I'll go through the resumes To find the next

00:07:29 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 1:

You don't watch Indian Matchmaker do you? On Netflix You're like auntie on there She calls them bios You get everybody's resume And photo And she goes through them and that's how she matches people

00:07:44 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 2:

I hear it's great I actually want to watch it because I watched 30 Day Fiance and I'll be perfectly honest with you I'm obsessed with it so

00:07:50 - 00:07:51 | Speaker 1:

Who would you set me up with?

00:07:52 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 2:

You know what? Hold on How about Guy named Steve Cabara I've already done that but you said you have to wait 10 years before you're willing to do it

00:08:02 - 00:08:47 | Speaker 1:

I actually have somebody I kind of want to set you up with Megan And I think you know him Yeah and I've like been Going back and forth about it in my head But I'm scared I've had You know set ups where The people are married now Like Joey from our show I actually set him up Remember Joey who used to work on this radio program With his wife Tiansa I set them up she was my eye doctor And that was a successful one But there have been other ones where I've said Oh I really think you should go out with this person And they were like oh really I've set you up with people that were good ones too Unfortunately you have We won't go into that He was a good guy.

00:08:47 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 2:

He was a good guy.

00:08:48 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 1:

We're not together.

00:08:49 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 2:

A good concert, buddy. Megan, you weren't on the show yet, but I set her up with a buddy of mine who lied about his age. Oh, I know. I know who it is. Oh, yeah, you know. Oh, he's single, I think. Would you like? Actually, yes. Now, you know what? I think that this is interesting, though. Whenever I do see, it goes a lot of times more so celebrity-wise. Although I've had friends that, for some reason, they quickly, they're like, how are you dating again? You just literally got out of, like, a long-term relationship, and you are out, like, in full force.

00:09:19 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 1:

When that happens, people are like, was there overlap?

00:09:22 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's the thing, yeah. You know. You were out celebrating a friend's birthday, is that right?

00:09:29 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, yesterday afternoon. It was my friend Christy's birthday, and she was celebrating a big birthday. She was turning 40. Happy birthday, Christy? Yeah, she works at, like, just for fun on Wednesday afternoons, She works at this great bar in Pontiac called Liberty Bar. I don't know if you've ever been there.

00:09:46 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 2:

No, is it right there in that main strip?

00:09:48 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Yes. God, don't ask me what street it's on because I didn't drive in. You know, I'm terrible with directions. Is it Huron or whatever, I think? I don't know. It's a great, great bar, by the way. And she has pink hair, so all of us showed up to the bar and surprised her. We were all wearing.

00:10:00 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 3:

pink hair wigs it was really fun yesterday afternoon but um i've never been there before and it was you know a lot of the people who were already in the bar were friends of christy's that i knew but there were a good chunk of people that were there that were regulars that i had never seen or met before in my entire life and it was so funny my friends were roasting me because we all come in with our wigs and you know we grab drinks and we're having a great time and then somebody says, we need to get a group photo. Let's go out onto the back patio. So I grab my drink. I always make sure to keep my drink close to me, you know, making sure that a female in a bar, there's people there that I don't know. I just, you know, I want to make sure I have my drink with me, grab my drink, make my way out to the patio with everybody else. And like five minutes later, my girlfriend comes up to me and hands me my wallet and a bunch of cash. And she's like you dummy you just left this on the bar you grabbed your drink but you left your wallet and the cash that i had pulled out to tip my girlfriend because i wanted to give her you know a good tip for her birthday um and she's like we don't know those people in there was it was you left for a while or how long was it there probably like 20 minutes wow because you left your purse on the table and you left your wallet and cash open on the bar and nothing was taken out of time i don't I mean, I normally don't carry cash on me aside from the $2 bill that the Tooth Fairy gave me when I was probably eight years old that I still carry with me everywhere out of, I don't even know why I do it. It's just habit. There's nothing else really in there. I mean, I guess my credit card. Well, my credit cards. My credit cards.

00:11:34 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Well, that is not, you know why you were so, your guard was down so much? Because you were day drinking. People don't assume that day drinking people are weird, which is actually a good thing. You know what? that might be where you go pick up people. Were there any single guys there or single girls there? The day drinkers might be the people.

00:11:53 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. It is a gay bar, so there were a lot of guys there, but I don't know that they would be interested in Megan, per se. They might.

00:12:01 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 2:

Megan, you're okay with being somebody's beard, right?

00:12:06 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 3:

I'd actually prefer that, to be honest.

00:12:09 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 2:

It's much more fun, isn't it?

00:12:10 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, less expectations. I just, yeah.

00:12:14 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so let's do this. Let's all day drink, and Shannon's bringing her wallet. I know. We're going to make sure it's okay. Thank God.

00:12:21 - 00:12:31 | Speaker 3:

I don't know how far you're going to get. I mean, my zoo membership's in there, my library card's in there. They're like, Mom, you left your wallet here. The Escape Arcade and Troy, if you want to get some tickets.

00:12:31 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 2:

They thought it was a setup. They're like, this is an Oakland County Sheriff's setup. That's funny. By the way, I wonder if anybody's ever done that where they left it and it stayed longer than 20 minutes, like they left their wallet just kind of sitting around. Ed, what's up, buddy? What's happening? How you doing, man? What you calling for? Set me up. Feel free. Oh, there you go. Our little setup thing. So you need people like Taylor has people. I could be yours. What about this, Ed? I'll get your resume from you, keep it handy, and then when I have people that are single females that want to date, then I got Ed there ready to go.

00:13:11 - 00:13:12 | Unknown:

Ed, Ed.

00:13:12 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 2:

All right, Ed. Say hi to Megan, by the way, but say it in a sexy way.

00:13:17 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Megan.

00:13:19 - 00:13:20 | Unknown:

Hi, Ed.

00:13:20 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 2:

Wait, hold on. There's too much wind noise. What do you have, your windows down or something? What do you got?

00:13:28 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, is that better?

00:13:29 - 00:13:34 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's hard for you to get sexy when it's like... All right, one more time. Do the sexy thing.

00:13:35 - 00:13:36 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Megan?

00:13:38 - 00:13:39 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Ed.

00:13:39 - 00:13:42 | Speaker 1:

How are you? Oh, that was a sexy... Good. How are you? Good.

00:13:42 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 2:

I like it, Megan. Do you like when Megan's losing her voice? We do.

00:13:50 - 00:13:52 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's rude. I like Megan.

00:13:53 - 00:13:56 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Well, then you know what? You got to send me your resume, okay?

00:13:57 - 00:13:57 | Speaker 1:

All right.

00:13:58 - 00:14:00 | Speaker 3:

Wait, Ed, what's your credit score?

00:14:02 - 00:14:06 | Speaker 1:

800. Oh, wow. You sent me that resume.

00:14:06 - 00:14:07 | Speaker 3:

Was that real life?

00:14:09 - 00:14:16 | Speaker 2:

By the way, you sold. You just got Megan. We don't even need to see a picture Thanks Ed It's funny

00:15:22 - 00:15:24 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. Good morning.

00:15:24 - 00:15:26 | Speaker 3:

What's going on? What's happening with you?

00:15:26 - 00:15:42 | Speaker 6:

I actually texted in a comment in regards to your dating thing. I texted Mojo's Single Mingle or Mojo's Dating Service.

00:15:42 - 00:15:50 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, what I'm going to be is I'm going to be like Taylor Swift has probably her agent set it up. I'm going to be your dating agent. Okay.

00:15:50 - 00:15:51 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I'm totally down with that.

00:15:52 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I think that's good. How old are you?

00:15:55 - 00:15:55 | Speaker 6:

I'm 30.

00:15:56 - 00:16:06 | Speaker 3:

Perfect age for you to meet some people that I have for you. I just don't have them yet, but if there's anybody out there that's looking for a hot 30-year-old, where are you from, Tasha?

00:16:07 - 00:16:09 | Speaker 6:

I am from Emily City.

00:16:09 - 00:16:27 | Speaker 3:

Nice. I love that. Tasha, you know what? You got to also DM us. You know, that's going to be our – after we get done with Mother's Day and Father's Day, we got to do the next party. It's got to be like some kind of a singles party, you know, because we miss the singles mingle. We love you so much, Tasha. Thanks for listening.

00:16:28 - 00:16:29 | Speaker 6:

I love you, too.

00:16:30 - 00:16:35 | Speaker 3:

Christy says that she's worse than you, Shannon. She leaves her purse everywhere. Is that right, Christy?

00:16:36 - 00:16:43 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. So I haven't found my purse in like three days, you guys. I don't know how I'm going to get back into work without my bed.

00:16:43 - 00:16:44 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no.

00:16:45 - 00:16:46 | Speaker 5:

Let's retrace your steps.

00:16:46 - 00:16:47 | Speaker 4:

Where have you been?

00:16:48 - 00:16:58 | Speaker 5:

I went to work, and then we were doing wedding planning, So it got mixed up in one of the boxes and we went through all the boxes and now it's not in any of the boxes.

00:16:59 - 00:17:10 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh. That's see, that's kind of almost different than Shannon's. Shannon just leaves it sitting on a bar in a random place. You have no clue where the hell you put it. You need one of those Apple AirTags.

00:17:10 - 00:17:12 | Speaker 4:

You do. That's what you should you have to do when you find it again.

00:17:14 - 00:17:15 | Speaker 5:

I lost it.

00:17:16 - 00:17:25 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh. That's crazy. And your biggest concern of the whole thing is not financial. It's not having the badge to swipe in to get into work in how many more days?

00:17:26 - 00:17:28 | Speaker 5:

Well, I need the badge to make the money, Mojo.

00:17:29 - 00:17:32 | Speaker 3:

I know. I get it. I totally understand. When's your next day that you have to be at work?

00:17:34 - 00:17:36 | Speaker 5:

In three hours. Oh, jeez. Oh, my gosh.

00:17:36 - 00:17:39 | Speaker 3:

All right. Well, we got to do this. Prayer to St. Anthony.

00:17:40 - 00:17:40 | Speaker 5:

Yes.

00:17:41 - 00:17:44 | Speaker 3:

It works all the time. All right? We're saying one for you.

00:17:44 - 00:17:45 | Speaker 5:

Thanks, Mojo.

00:17:45 - 00:18:04 | Speaker 3:

All right. Take care of yourself. All right. We'll see you. Heavy response, by the way, on the dating thing. I like that. I want to know. We need to explore more about the Taylor Swift thing. Because I know in the past, there has been rumors that some of the guys that she was in relationship with were purely...

00:18:04 - 00:18:05 | Speaker 4:

PR, PR, PR. What?

00:18:05 - 00:18:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Is this also one of those? Or is she past the point? I don't know.

00:18:11 - 00:18:27 | Speaker 4:

Because when I heard about this guy, I was like, okay, that makes total sense. Like, I can very much see them together. But are we going to see her ex-fiance, ex-boyfriend with a new girl soon and she wanted to beat him to the punch? Well, he already has been out with the co-star of the new project that he's working on. Oh, that's right.

00:18:27 - 00:19:03 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. So, I don't know. More details in the dirty and tickets to see Taylor next. This mojo in the morning is back in the day. Let's go. Back in the day. What year did this stuff happen? It was the year that Disney released the live Beauty and the Beast remake. Adele did something really interesting remember when she won album of the year song of the year best solo performance best vocal album and then she said this after winning tonight winning this

00:19:03 - 00:19:22 | Speaker 1:

kind of feels full full circle and like a bit of me has come back to myself but I can't possibly accept this award and I'm very humbled and I'm very grateful and gracious but my artist of my life is Beyonce in this album for me. The Lemonade album was just so monumental. And the big song

00:19:22 - 00:19:35 | Speaker 3:

from Imagine Dragon. What year was this? Good luck. You're smart. Prove it. You remember the

00:19:35 - 00:19:43 | Speaker 6:

year the stuff happened. 844 Mojo Live. It's Mojo in the mornings. Back in the day. What year was

00:19:43 - 00:19:50 | Speaker 3:

00:19:50 - 00:20:00 | Speaker 4:

00:20:00 - 00:20:02 | Speaker 2:

when winning a bunch of Grammys.

00:20:02 - 00:20:23 | Speaker 1:

Tonight winning this kind of feels full circle and like a bit of me has come back to myself but I can't possibly accept this award and I'm very humbled and I'm very grateful and gracious but my artist of my life is Beyonce and this album for me, the Lemonade album was just so monumental, Beyonce. It was so monumental.

00:20:24 - 00:20:34 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and everybody wants Beyonce to win awards except for the Grammy people. And the big song, right?

00:20:35 - 00:20:36 | Speaker 4:

It's a great song.

00:20:37 - 00:21:37 | Speaker 2:

Good song. I like it. I love these guys. I don't know what it is. It's funny. I hate to say sometimes that I like Imagine Dragons or Nickelback. Occasionally there is a song or two that I really like from both of them. But Jeff, what year was that? 2017. It was. Congratulations. And what gave it away? Actually, the Beauty and the Beast. Me and my family are pretty big Disney fans. Very cool. Congratulations to you. We're going to set you up with some wrestling tickets. 00:22:52 - 00:23:02 | Speaker 2:

Yes. We've said that. Howard's not going anywhere. Howard's a fighter. And Megan, you got to stay with Howard. So you're with Howard. No Steve Gabara, nobody. No more.

00:23:02 - 00:23:09 | Speaker 3:

00:23:10 - 00:23:13 | Speaker 2:

You have a damn good day, Trucker Howard. Love you.

00:23:13 - 00:23:14 | Speaker 3:

You guys have a damn good day.

00:23:14 - 00:23:18 | Speaker 2:

Goodbye. We love you, buddy. He's the best. Love that guy. What's up in the dirty?

00:23:18 - 00:23:23 | Speaker 4:

Well, I have to acknowledge that today is a very special day for Star Wars fans.

00:23:24 - 00:23:28 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's the wrong one. Hold on. I don't know.

00:23:28 - 00:23:32 | Speaker 4:

I'm like, I'm not a Star Wars fan, and even I knew that was not right.

00:23:32 - 00:23:38 | Speaker 2:

That was the Stars and Stripes Forever right next to the Star Wars theme. All right, go ahead.

00:23:38 - 00:23:40 | Speaker 4:

There you go. Okay, just play those two clips.

00:23:42 - 00:23:43 | Speaker 3:

May the Force be with you.

00:23:43 - 00:23:47 | Speaker 4:

May the Force. Oh, there you go. May the Force. May the Force be with you.

00:23:47 - 00:23:51 | Speaker 2:

May the Force be with you. Love it. Isn't that cool? Love that.

00:23:51 - 00:23:57 | Speaker 4:

I have to do it or all the Star Wars nerds are like, you're letting acknowledge that today is May the Fourth.

00:23:57 - 00:24:02 | Speaker 2:

That's right. And they all sound like that. I'm just kidding. I will use this for Fourth of July.

00:24:05 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 4:

All right. Kevin Costner is reportedly not returning to Yellowstone after five years of starring on the show. He has led the cast as John Dutton since 2018. going to be leaving the series after the current fifth season. This is really not shocking to anybody here. His future on the show has been under pretty intense scrutiny amid this big feud with the co-creator of Yellowstone, Taylor Sheridan. This news, though, comes just a day after Kevin's wife of 18 years, Christine Baumgartner, filed for divorce. And I'm told that he really had no idea here. He was blindsided on Monday after learning that she had gone and filed. So here's the thing. If you are a Yellowstone fan, which Mojo, I know you and I are, the second half of season five has yet to be finished. And no update has been provided on when the cast and the crew are going to return to Montana to continue to finish the remainder of this season.

00:25:00 - 00:25:02 | Speaker 2:

so I'm kind of worried that we're not going to get it.

00:25:03 - 00:25:03 | Speaker 5:

You know what they do?

00:25:04 - 00:25:04 | Speaker 2:

I don't know how they're going to do that.

00:25:04 - 00:25:09 | Speaker 5:

It's like the soap operas and stuff. They just need to bring somebody else in his place and have him walk down the stairs.

00:25:09 - 00:25:14 | Speaker 2:

You can't. It's Kevin Costner, and he's like, you know, the old guy.

00:25:14 - 00:25:18 | Speaker 5:

Or he finally gets killed or something like that, and the governor gets assassinated, so to speak.

00:25:19 - 00:25:20 | Speaker 2:

Was that the Yellowstone theme?

00:25:20 - 00:25:21 | Speaker 5:

That was, yes.

00:25:21 - 00:25:26 | Speaker 2:

Do any of you guys watch Westworld? Oh, yes. I used to watch Westworld. It does kind of sound the same.

00:25:26 - 00:25:28 | Speaker 1:

That's the same theme song, right?

00:25:28 - 00:25:35 | Speaker 5:

Listen, don't screw me up. I've already screwed up different beds that I was supposed to be playing musical beds. Sorry, sorry, sorry. Maybe I did play the wrong one. No, that was right.

00:25:36 - 00:26:02 | Speaker 2:

Yesterday, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' brother, not him, his brother Jackson Mahomes, was arrested for aggravated sexual battery in relation to an alleged incident that happened at a Kansas restaurant back in February. According to court records, Jackson is accused of sexually and physically assaulting the owner of a restaurant when the woman, she's 40 years old, claim that he tried to forcibly kiss her multiple times.

00:26:02 - 00:26:03 | Speaker 5:

Did you see the video?

00:26:03 - 00:26:05 | Speaker 2:

I have not seen the video.

00:26:05 - 00:26:12 | Speaker 5:

I watched it on TMZ back in February, and I watched it again yesterday, and when this all thing came out, not good.

00:26:12 - 00:26:26 | Speaker 2:

Not good, yeah. And also not good. A conviction for aggravated sexual battery in Kansas carries a 55-month prison sentence. He's currently out on bond. His attorney says he did nothing wrong. There's more to this story.

00:26:26 - 00:26:31 | Speaker 5:

He's notoriously known for always trying to just be, you know.

00:26:31 - 00:26:32 | Speaker 2:

Patrick Mahomes' brother.

00:26:33 - 00:26:33 | Speaker 5:

Patrick Mahomes' brother, yeah.

00:26:33 - 00:27:16 | Speaker 2:

Yep. Maria Menounos going public about her battle with pancreatic cancer. The 44-year-old TV personality shared her diagnosis yesterday after the news came out that she's expecting her first child, a baby girl with her husband via surrogate. And her story is that she learned she had diabetes in the summer of 2021. She was diagnosed with stage 2 pancreatic cancer in January. If you remember, she was previously treated for a benign brain tumor in 2017. But after the pancreatic cancer diagnosis, she did undergo a successful surgery to remove the tumor that was on her pancreas. And Jojo Siwa telling a story about accidentally butt dialing her dad while baking cookies.

00:27:16 - 00:27:38 | Speaker 1:

It's my third night with this partner. It's really fun. I'm happy. I'm having the time of my life, cut to the next day. My dad comes up to me and he's like, so you guys had fun last night? No! And he was like, last night you called me. No! So now I have a rule that no matter what, phones are away because I butt-dialed my dad.

00:27:39 - 00:27:42 | Speaker 2:

00:29:13 - 00:29:19 | Speaker 5:

Got lots of people moving into my house.

00:29:22 - 00:29:24 | Speaker 5:

Could the guy just come out of the closet, please?

00:29:26 - 00:29:50 | Speaker 5:

Final score, 4-3. Aiden is back with us tomorrow.

00:32:57 - 00:33:22 | Speaker 1:

Congratulations to you, Aiden. You got your sixth win in a row. Getting closer to double digits, my friend. I like it. Question. I always know this because I just experienced this with my son in, you know, senior year kind of being almost like a little bit of a blow-off year. What's harder, the 5 at 6.55 or the last? couple of weeks of high school that you've been experiencing?

00:33:22 - 00:33:25 | Speaker 3:

It's the 5 of 6.55. It's the most I've studied in high school.

00:33:25 - 00:33:26 | Speaker 1:

Isn't it funny?

00:33:27 - 00:33:30 | Speaker 3:

That's right. I'm sure your teachers love hearing that.

00:33:30 - 00:33:39 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I've talked to so many people that have played this before that are in high school, and they'll be like, I honestly get fearful of playing the 5 of 6.55, but it's an exam.

00:33:39 - 00:33:44 | Speaker 3:

It's harder when you're actually put on the spot, isn't it? Oh, yeah. It can be stressful, I feel like.

00:33:44 - 00:34:04 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and thank God you guys didn't have to take the ACT, right? So that was nice. Otherwise, that would have been a stressful moment for you. John, we've got a parting gift for you. We're going to set you up with, let's see here, a $50 gift card to Tabooli. I ate there yesterday. Great Mediterranean food. Enjoy, okay? Thank you so much. Thanks for playing, buddy.

00:34:05 - 00:34:07 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the Morning, 5 at 6.55.

00:34:08 - 00:34:39 | Speaker 1:

It is the Mojo in the Morning Show, home of the War of the Roses, Boston Cheaters. If you think that you're being cheated on, I want you to do me a favor. I want you to text CHEATER to 95500 so we can get you on a future War of the Roses. That's CHEATER. Text that to 95500, standard text and data rates to apply. Paying your bills in a couple of hours here, actually, after $9,000 an hour, 13 times a day, and concert tickets to give away in like 25, 30 minutes.

00:34:40 - 00:34:45 | Speaker 2:

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

00:34:46 - 00:34:51 | Speaker 1:

Ashley thinks that her boyfriend is cheating on her, and who do you think that he's cheating with?

00:34:52 - 00:34:52 | Speaker 2:

His friend.

00:34:53 - 00:34:55 | Speaker 1:

His female friend?

00:34:56 - 00:34:56 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

00:34:57 - 00:35:03 | Speaker 1:

Why is that? What's... going on between them that causes you to get suspicious?

00:35:04 - 00:35:11 | Speaker 3:

She's sending him these flirty texts, and he's showing them to me, but he hasn't stopped them. What are

00:35:11 - 00:35:12 | Speaker 1:

the texts?

00:35:14 - 00:35:26 | Speaker 3:

She'll send him selfies of her cute outfits or just kind of suggestive stuff that I don't know. I don't know if I'm overreacting.

00:35:26 - 00:35:29 | Speaker 4:

But then he'll literally take his phone and show you and say, look what she's doing?

00:35:30 - 00:35:33 | Speaker 3:

To prove that he's not responding Yes

00:35:33 - 00:35:36 | Speaker 1:

She's just sending pictures or is she writing stuff with it

00:35:36 - 00:35:39 | Speaker 3:

She's writing some stuff

00:35:39 - 00:35:40 | Speaker 1:

Like what

00:35:40 - 00:35:45 | Speaker 3:

She'll send a selfie and say Don't I look cute in this or what do you think of this outfit

00:35:45 - 00:35:54 | Speaker 1:

And she's looking for his advice On the outfit Or you think she's just flirting with him

00:35:56 - 00:36:02 | Speaker 3:

You could argue either one So I don't know if it's me or if it's really sketchy. It feels sketchy.

00:36:03 - 00:36:15 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Well, he's showing you that it's one-sided, but to your point, he has never, at least not via text that you know of, said, please stop. This isn't appropriate. I have a girlfriend. And she knows that he has a girlfriend, right?

00:36:16 - 00:36:17 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, she does.

00:36:17 - 00:36:26 | Speaker 1:

Do you make it seem to him, though, that you want it to stop? Or do you just laugh it off because you don't want him to know how much it bothers you?

00:36:27 - 00:36:33 | Speaker 3:

I get a little jealous. He knows I get a little jealous. I think he's enjoying me getting a little jealous, honestly.

00:36:35 - 00:36:49 | Speaker 1:

Is there cheating going on? That's the big question. We're going to find out with The War of the Roses. Hang on the phone for just one second. We're hoping that the flowers go to Ashley. All right, Ashley, mute your phone so that he doesn't hear you.

00:36:58 - 00:37:02 | Speaker 2:

00:38:23 - 00:38:24 | Speaker 2:

Um, Hannah

00:38:24 - 00:38:45 | Speaker 4:

Okay, and what is Hannah's last name? Okay, and Jacob, I'm going to start a file for you on here. Obviously, you've ordered flowers in the past. Hopefully, you'll start ordering flowers from us, so this is just going to make that process a whole lot easier. I've got Hannah on here. What is her relationship to you?

00:38:47 - 00:38:53 | Speaker 2:

I've known her for a while. We've started trying to see each other a little bit.

00:38:53 - 00:39:21 | Speaker 4:

nothing serious but okay I just didn't know if it was a family member co-worker friend girlfriend romantic romantic uh yeah a little romantic okay and we also offer something really unique that we feel sets us apart from other floral companies and that's a digital voice card that will get sent when the flowers are delivered so Hannah will get a text message that has the digital voice card did Do you want to go ahead and record that?

00:39:22 - 00:39:24 | Speaker 2:

Do I tell you what to put in there and it just voices it for me?

00:39:25 - 00:39:48 | Speaker 4:

No, I'm actually, I'll record your voice. So Hannah will get a text message saying flowers were delivered at her home. And then she'll be able to click play and it'll be a voice message from you. So she knows that they're from you. It's basically in place of a card, but you can leave a little bit of a longer message. Okay? Okay. All right. Okay, so I'm going to count you down and then just leave something short and sweet. Three, two, one.

00:39:50 - 00:39:57 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Hannah, I've really loved the last few weeks knowing you. Hope that we keep having more good time together.

00:39:58 - 00:39:58 | Unknown:

Jacob.

00:40:01 - 00:40:08 | Speaker 4:

Awesome. That was perfect. Okay, Jacob, I also have to let you know real fast that this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes. Are you okay with that?

00:40:10 - 00:40:28 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Great. That's fine. Great. Jacob, I'm going to come on and get some more information, including Hannah's phone number. So I'd like to grab that from you, and then we'll send her the message. Can I get that first from you?

00:40:30 - 00:40:35 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, let me just... One second. 248?

00:40:43 - 00:41:02 | Speaker 1:

Perfect. I also want to let you know one last thing, that while we were calling you to see who you'd send the flowers to, that your girlfriend, Ashley, was listening in to the conversation and just heard you send flowers to another woman.

00:41:03 - 00:41:17 | Speaker 2:

Man, I knew this was too good to be true. F***. Why are you guys doing f*** like this?

00:41:19 - 00:41:21 | Speaker 4:

We could ask you the same question.

00:41:21 - 00:41:42 | Speaker 1:

Jacob, this is the Mojo in the morning show and Ashley suspected that there was something going on and called us up to see where you would send the flowers to and just heard you sending them and heard your message that you left for her.

00:41:46 - 00:41:49 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's not cool, man.

00:41:51 - 00:41:52 | Speaker 3:

That's not cool.

00:41:52 - 00:41:53 | Speaker 4:

That's it?

00:41:55 - 00:41:55 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:41:56 - 00:41:58 | Speaker 4:

Are you saying that about us or are you saying that about yourself?

00:42:00 - 00:42:01 | Speaker 2:

About you guys.

00:42:03 - 00:42:04 | Speaker 1:

Ashley, what do you want to say?

00:42:06 - 00:42:09 | Speaker 3:

I'm floored. This is my worst fear.

00:42:12 - 00:42:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I know you're always talking about it. Push me on it all the time.

00:42:17 - 00:42:19 | Speaker 1:

What is she? Wait, what are you saying that she does?

00:42:19 - 00:42:27 | Speaker 2:

It's all the time, man Every single girl that I talk to She thinks that I'm trying to see her I don't get a moment of peace

00:42:27 - 00:42:38 | Speaker 4:

But it's founded Because you're doing exactly what she was fearful that you were doing Or are you saying you're doing it because she brought it up?

00:42:39 - 00:42:46 | Speaker 2:

It's because I just never get peace If eventually, if she's just accusing me of being a cheater all the time Eventually I might as well just do the crime

00:42:46 - 00:42:49 | Speaker 3:

You're putting this on me?

00:42:50 - 00:42:53 | Speaker 2:

How many times in the last year have you accused me of this?

00:42:54 - 00:42:56 | Speaker 3:

How many times in the last year have you done this?

00:42:57 - 00:42:59 | Speaker 2:

Once. How many times have you accused me of this?

00:43:01 - 00:43:04 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I knew you had it in you.

00:43:05 - 00:43:10 | Speaker 2:

It's every girl I see. You think I'm cheating on the random girl that's waiting on us? It's all the time.

00:43:11 - 00:43:34 | Speaker 1:

Here's the thing, though, that kind of floors me a little bit, Jacob. she told us that you show her pictures and show her messages and that it's only one person how many are sending you messages and how many are you in uh in relationships with even just by text

00:43:34 - 00:43:45 | Speaker 2:

no it's just one and it's not like i'm trying to go out of my way to show her she sees my phone buzz and then she just asks me over and over until i show her my phone i I don't really have a choice.

00:43:47 - 00:43:51 | Speaker 1:

Jacob, why would you want to do this to somebody? Why would you want to play with somebody's head like this?

00:43:53 - 00:44:00 | Speaker 2:

I don't want to do anything to anybody. I'm just living my life. She wouldn't leave me alone. Eventually, I got over it.

00:44:02 - 00:44:08 | Speaker 1:

So you don't think that you're messing around with the emotions of Ashley at all?

00:44:08 - 00:44:19 | Speaker 2:

no i think uh you know sorry it hurt you but it's not like i'm intentionally trying to hurt somebody

00:44:19 - 00:44:39 | Speaker 1:

i think you need to spend a little bit of time figuring yourself out because i think honestly you're gonna be a lonely guy later in life if you don't Ashley, hang on with us because we want to talk to you some more.

00:44:40 - 00:44:40 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:44:43 - 00:44:57 | Speaker 2:

Join the discussion now. 844-MOCHO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. This is the home of War of the Roses. Mocho in the morning. This is the home of War of the Roses.

00:44:57 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 3:

The War of the Roses. The War of the Roses.

00:45:00 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 1:

It's my favorite.

00:45:01 - 00:45:02 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning.

00:45:10 - 00:45:45 | Speaker 5:

War of the Roses. If you think that you're being cheated on, get on War of the Roses. Mojo in the Morning. You can text cheater to 95500 if you want to be on a future War of the Roses. Just a moment ago, you heard Ashley suspicious that her boyfriend's cheating because of all these flirty text messages that he gets from a co-worker and then hearing him send those flowers and then just how brazen he was. I mean, this guy, it's unbelievable. Ashley, I'm sorry about that.

00:45:47 - 00:45:48 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, me too.

00:45:54 - 00:45:55 | Speaker 5:

Ashley, how you doing?

00:45:58 - 00:46:08 | Speaker 2:

I don't even know how to feel right now. I don't know what to do with this. There's so many levels of betrayal here.

00:46:09 - 00:46:11 | Speaker 5:

Well, he's manipulating you, and he's...

00:46:11 - 00:46:15 | Speaker 4:

He's manipulating you. He's gaslighting you. He sounds like a huge jerk, by the way.

00:46:17 - 00:46:20 | Speaker 5:

He's still on hold. Jake, go ahead. Finish your thought, and then I want to pick him up.

00:46:21 - 00:46:26 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to guess they dodged a bullet, But, man, this is rough.

00:46:27 - 00:46:28 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to pick him up. Jacob?

00:46:29 - 00:46:30 | Unknown:

Yes.

00:46:32 - 00:46:46 | Speaker 5:

Thinking about this for just a moment on the phone and knowing that you hurt somebody that, you know, I would assume meant something to you, do you have anything else to say after getting a couple moments?

00:46:49 - 00:46:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Yeah, I probably should have left when things started going bad.

00:46:57 - 00:47:01 | Speaker 5:

So it's not I feel bad for what I did to you. It's I should have left.

00:47:03 - 00:47:05 | Speaker 3:

I mean, it wasn't just a me thing.

00:47:06 - 00:47:15 | Speaker 5:

You know, she's done stuff too, so. Put him on hold. Taylor, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning, War of the Roses.

00:47:18 - 00:47:18 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:47:19 - 00:47:20 | Speaker 5:

Hi, Taylor, what do you want to say?

00:47:21 - 00:47:30 | Speaker 3:

I just want to know why he would stay. Why don't you just get the balls and leave? And why would you stay and make somebody feel that way?

00:47:31 - 00:47:49 | Speaker 5:

Well, he doesn't care. I mean, obvious from what you heard him say just now. But, yeah, if you're not happy. But it's almost kind of like it's a game for people when they do this. Guys and girls when they do this. It's like they just like to play games with people's head.

00:47:51 - 00:47:53 | Speaker 3:

Exactly. But two wrongs don't make a right.

00:47:54 - 00:48:02 | Speaker 4:

Right. Well, I... And I love that he's now just trying to throw it back in her face. Like, I'm not the only one that did stuff wrong. You did stuff wrong, too. Doreen?

00:48:03 - 00:48:04 | Speaker 1:

Good morning, guys.

00:48:05 - 00:48:05 | Speaker 5:

Morning.

00:48:06 - 00:48:25 | Speaker 1:

He is totally gaslighting her right now, telling her, like, trying to make him sound like the victim here in this whole situation which is absolutely insane and why is he giving other women his phone number when he's in a relationship that should be like a no-no well i think other women

00:48:25 - 00:48:41 | Speaker 4:

could have your phone number without especially if they're co-workers or whatever but the fact that that she was repeatedly sending him inappropriate stuff knowing very well that he was in a relationship and he never told her to stop like we don't know that we don't know the

00:48:41 - 00:48:46 | Speaker 5:

story but he clearly never told her to stop what was that uh what were you saying i said maybe he

00:48:46 - 00:48:52 | Speaker 1:

doesn't even know that he is in a relationship with someone if he's you know flirting yeah

00:48:52 - 00:49:35 | Speaker 5:

flirting with hard work and well and that's the thing and that's you know definitely with the way he's acting he's acting like he's not in a relationship um this is a question i'm just throwing out there as devil's advocate in this one was did ashley make a mistake by not being more upset about these text messages instead of just seeing these text messages and allowing him to continue to just do this? Or do you have to police a significant other on something like that? Like, do you have to, as a girlfriend, say, you should not be getting those text messages. Tell her not to. I mean, I think it's understandable that he should just understand he shouldn't do that. But did she make a mistake by constantly being shown these text messages and not making it apparent that she was upset?

00:49:36 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 4:

No, because I think if the answer to that question, no, she didn't make a mistake. I mean, I think she, I don't, I think she should have said like, this has to stop right now. This is inappropriate and it makes me uncomfortable. And if it happens again, you know, block her or whatever. But that it's still just because she wasn't upset and didn't do those things doesn't mean that he's.

00:50:00 - 00:50:01 | Speaker 1:

Off the hook, you know?

00:50:01 - 00:50:03 | Speaker 3:

And I know you don't mean that. I don't mean it.

00:50:03 - 00:50:08 | Speaker 1:

I'm devil's advocating it, and I'm throwing it out there just to see what listeners think. Remember what he said? Just a few moments. Go ahead.

00:50:09 - 00:50:09 | Speaker 3:

No, go ahead.

00:50:09 - 00:50:23 | Speaker 1:

I was going to say, I'm going to play this. I'm going to play this, what he said about the fact that he was getting these messages, flirty pictures, and she wasn't doing anything about it. His response to, I believe it was Megan's question.

00:50:23 - 00:50:30 | Speaker 4:

It's because I just never get peace. If eventually, if she's just accusing me of being a cheater all the time, eventually I might as well just do the crime.

00:50:31 - 00:50:33 | Speaker 5:

You're putting this on me?

00:50:34 - 00:50:37 | Speaker 4:

How many times in the last year have you accused me of this?

00:50:38 - 00:50:43 | Speaker 3:

How many times in the last year have you done this? My brain wanted to explode when he said that, by the way.

00:50:45 - 00:50:56 | Speaker 1:

Anthony, guy, perspective, please. What are your thoughts? Anthony. Hi, Anthony. What's up?

00:50:56 - 00:51:21 | Speaker 5:

Sorry about it. Let's go. No, I was just saying that I've been in a similar situation. I was married for 10 years. About five years into the marriage, she started doing the same thing, but I wasn't even talking to anybody, and I made that mistake. Eventually, he's going to look back and regret everything because he's just going to tear what he potentially could have had apart.

00:51:23 - 00:51:55 | Speaker 1:

Well, you think to yourself, if you do this now, you're going to keep on doing it because if you don't get stopped, you continue to do what you don't get stopped doing, you know? And I think that, and I think that you'll look back on all the failed relationships that you have, which I'm sure this guy has had other situations. He's too good at this to not this, for this not to be a first time, you know what I mean? So I think he's going to look back on this and he's going to be regretful too. I think it's going to be a mistake that he'll look back on, you know, but it takes years before you start feeling like that.

00:51:56 - 00:52:01 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. For me, it was a slap in the face from my dad that I needed to get me right.

00:52:01 - 00:52:08 | Speaker 1:

Well, that's the other thing, too. You know, it's like sometimes you need to have, like, a mentor-type person just say, dude, wake up. What the heck are you doing?

00:52:09 - 00:52:11 | Speaker 3:

Do you need a mentor to tell you not to cheat?

00:52:11 - 00:52:14 | Speaker 1:

Well, not necessarily, but sometimes you need—

00:52:14 - 00:52:29 | Speaker 3:

Not even not to cheat, but, like, to say, you know, even— Which, obviously, there's something more going on in this case. But even—I feel like some guys are dumb and would get text messages from a girl at work and be like, this is this kind of what does she what does she do like they they're not putting an end to it

00:52:29 - 00:53:09 | Speaker 1:

you know what you need though honestly you need to have and i say yes you need a mentor you need a you need to see a person that's in your life that treats a person right sometimes to be somebody that you model yourself after well i think you need people in your life to hold you accountable as well i've looked at so many times guys uh friends of mine who are really bad to to women and i look at their past and i see that they've got some family situations that have happened in the past where they've witnessed their family member dad or uncle or whatever treating women wrong and then they go about doing it you know uh danielle uh yes it's danielle

00:53:09 - 00:53:45 | Speaker 6:

danielle yes okay i'm sorry like i said to your phone screener uh why do women get upset with men who showed them who exactly they are they choose not to believe it um as a woman you know that you always have a gut instinct about things you just you know let your heart lead you and i understand that when you're young you know we all have to experience but don't get upset with a person when they show you exactly who they are believe them but from her perspective how did he show her

00:53:45 - 00:53:50 | Speaker 2:

who he was because he just showed her text messages that looked like he wasn't responding

00:53:50 - 00:54:34 | Speaker 6:

back okay for a man to do that right there that says he's not concerned about protecting your heart because no man who truly loves you would put you in a position like that that would just be garbage that he would oh no okay i'm not going to pay any attention to that because I love this significant other but for my person that is showing her just how much he cares about her or again the type of individual that he is a man who does not want to protect your heart is a man that you should not give your heart to I agree with you but I see from my perspective

00:54:34 - 00:54:50 | Speaker 2:

him showing me the text messages was him saying I'm on team you I don't want you to be accused of anything i'm covering my bases saying you know i'm not reaching out to this girl but what we didn't know is that wasn't the case and those were just lies but he's essentially lying to her

00:54:50 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 1:

we can't blame her for being lied to i don't know i will say this though this is the thing you show it to your girl once and say hey there's this girl that's doing this

00:55:00 - 00:55:01 | Speaker 4:

saying, I want to show you this thing.

00:55:01 - 00:55:05 | Speaker 3:

I also want to show you my response that I told her this is not appropriate to please

00:55:05 - 00:55:09 | Speaker 4:

stop. I almost feel like he was showing it off, though, every time.

00:55:09 - 00:55:20 | Speaker 1:

Again, because that's the type of individual he is. He understood what type of individual she was that she would buy into it. She was too kind.

00:55:20 - 00:55:44 | Speaker 3:

And you made some great points in what you said. I also think, though, that women especially, and maybe some men too but we're so hopeful right when we're in a relationship that we want to work out we may not pay attention to all of the crappy things or the red flags because we're so hopeful that this person is not who maybe our gut is saying they are and i'm wondering if that was part of the

00:55:44 - 00:55:49 | Speaker 1:

case for her unfortunately and you know what then we drive around with our back seat filled up with

00:55:49 - 00:55:56 | Speaker 4:

red flags yeah yes yeah and you're right actually geneva brings up an interesting point what did Do you want to say Geneva?

00:55:57 - 00:56:03 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. I think he was deleting his responses so that he looked innocent.

00:56:04 - 00:56:07 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I agree with that. 1,000%.

00:56:07 - 00:56:08 | Speaker 3:

Way more to this story.

00:56:08 - 00:56:08 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:56:09 - 00:56:09 | Speaker 3:

Absolutely.

00:56:10 - 00:56:14 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Andrew? It's Mojo in the morning. Isn't it great to be a guy today?

00:56:15 - 00:56:25 | Speaker 5:

It's great to be a guy every day, Mojo. I love being a guy, and I would never give it up. But this guy deserves a special placement. H-E double hockey sticks for some of the stuff that he's been doing to this woman. Yeah.

00:56:25 - 00:56:46 | Speaker 4:

That's pretty bad. What would you do if you were with somebody that showed you that they were getting text messages and flirty stuff from somebody at work? Would you say cut it all off right now, stop it, or do anything about it? Or what would be your response to that if the shoe was on the foot of, say, your girlfriend or whatever, showing you that?

00:56:47 - 00:57:15 | Speaker 5:

I actually had to have this talk with my fiancée because one of my best friends happens to be a woman. And I've known her for years. She actually is the one who helped me get my current job that I'm thankfully thriving in right now. But I was up front, like, hey, she's my best friend. I want you guys to meet. I don't want you to feel uncomfortable if she's sending me messages so there's no jealousy or anything like that. You have to be adults about it. You have to talk things through. I think that's something that most people don't do anymore, unfortunately.

00:57:17 - 00:57:22 | Speaker 4:

Thank you for the call. I appreciate it. Congratulations, by the way, on the fiancé and the thriving.

00:57:23 - 00:57:23 | Speaker 5:

Thank you very much.

00:57:23 - 00:57:52 | Speaker 4:

Appreciate it. All right. War of the Roses, man, the responses are unbelievable. By the way, as far as Hannah goes, the person that he sent the flowers to, we've been trying to call her. We're not getting any, you know, pickup of a phone call. We're getting a voicemail message, so we'll continue with that. If you miss the War of the Roses and want to hear it, I suggest you go listen to the podcast right now. They're up. It's ready to go. Go check out our podcast, Mojo in the Morning Show. Search Mojo in the Morning, iHeartRadio app, or wherever you get podcasts.

00:57:53 - 00:58:02 | Speaker 6:

Friendly reminder this morning that you are good enough. I mean, we're a bunch of idiots that just happen to have a radio show. And chances are you're funnier than we are. This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:58:03 - 00:58:10 | Speaker 4:

I pushed that button down. I got a fat thumb. I just looked at my thumb and it's fat.

00:58:11 - 00:58:13 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:58:13 - 00:58:16 | Speaker 4:

It's weird when you look at your fingers for the, you know.

00:58:16 - 00:58:18 | Speaker 3:

Oh my God, again with your fingers.

00:58:18 - 00:58:20 | Speaker 4:

It's like my fingers are the fattest fingers ever.

00:58:20 - 00:58:43 | Speaker 3:

Did you see the photo of King Charles and Camilla and everybody saying that she's always been very critical of his sausage fingers? So she made him hide them in the photo. Oh, really? The way that both of the, there's two photos that have been going around, you know, right before his coronation this weekend. Both of the photos, he's hiding his fingers in like this very awkward way.

00:58:43 - 00:58:48 | Speaker 4:

I have fat wrinkled fingers. I need to get Botox or something on my fingers. What's going on in the dirty?

00:58:48 - 00:59:18 | Speaker 3:

Well, Taylor Swift is apparently madly, madly in love with another boy from London after her split from Joe Alwyn, interestingly enough. The big rumor on the street, and I'm pretty darn sure it's true from everything I've heard and everyone who's telling me, is that Taylor is dating the 1975 frontman, Mattie Healy. Oh my God, no. Please, God, no. Want to know who set them up? Jack Antonoff. That's a terrible combination.

00:59:19 - 00:59:21 | Speaker 1:

This is going to make some good music.

00:59:22 - 00:59:37 | Speaker 3:

They have a history. So they first dated very, very briefly over a decade ago. But the timing was off, so it didn't just work out. But they've performed together at London's O2 Arena. Actually, they've performed together several times.

00:59:37 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 2:

I'm the only one looking out for her. But for her own mental health and well-being, I hope to God... What's up with this guy? I actually like the 1975. I don't know much about Maddie specifically. I love the 1975's music, but I think any fan of the 1975 can say right now that it's, it's, I don't want to talk out of turn and I guess it's not really my place, but I'll

01:00:00 - 01:01:26 | Speaker 4:

Fuck out of turn. A lot of people are suspecting that he might be in the throes of his addiction again, and I don't want her to be dating him if that's true. Ew. Okay. I was not aware that he had an addiction. What was I going to say? I know that. Oh, I know. Sorry. My brain just went blank for a second. That threw you for a loop, didn't it? Well, I really did not know that, but also I'm hearing that Taylor is making a stop in Nashville on her heiress tour this weekend, and everybody's saying they're going to go public this weekend. No, no. Like, he will be joining her on stage at some point. Please, no. He's been passing out on stage. Please, no. And, by the way, for anybody going, wait a second, this was, like, really fast. And I'm also hearing that they've been dating for, like, you know, a month or two now. People are telling me that Taylor and Joel Alwyn actually broke up, like, end of January, beginning of February. There was really no crossover here. So, there's no overlap. Nick Cannon going to be taking over, hosting Beat Shazam for Jamie Foxx while he remains hospitalized with this mystery medical condition. Kelly Osbourne going to work as the show's DJ, a position that was previously held by Jamie Foxx's daughter, Corinne, as she takes a lead to help with her dad's recovery. She's, you know, by his side at the hospital in Atlanta. Yesterday, Jamie breaking his silence on Instagram, writing, appreciate all the love, feeling blessed. He also gave a shout-out to Nick in his Instagram story. His buddy, Kevin Hart, providing fans with an update as well.

01:01:27 - 01:01:43 | Speaker 1:

The dope thing is that he's getting better in this situation. And everybody's prayers, everybody's love, energy, all that stuff is seen and felt. You know, you just want the guy to get out of the situations and then get back home. To my knowledge is there is a lot of progression in the world of better men.

01:01:44 - 01:02:38 | Speaker 4:

One person was killed and four others injured, three of them critically, in a shooting that took place at a medical center in Midtown Atlanta yesterday afternoon. Man, this just blew up my phone when it was happening. The gunman opened fire in a waiting room on the 11th floor of a Northside Hospital Medical, which actually I know exactly where that is. When I lived in Atlanta, I actually had appointments in that building. But Atlanta Police Chief Darren Shirebaum told reporters that a 39-year-old woman was pronounced set at the scene. And all four injured victims are women, ages 25, 39, 56, and 71. A manhunt was launched for the suspect. A 24-year-old gentleman by the name of DeLon Patterson. Police announced last night that he was in custody after being arrested at a condo complex in Cobb County, which is like 10 miles outside of Midtown Atlanta. DeLon Patterson, by the way, sorry. And so they have him.

01:02:38 - 01:03:04 | Speaker 3:

So his mom came out and said that he was taking anxiety medicine and taking antidepressants. He's a former Coast Guard member, so he was supposedly trying to get VA appointments at the VA, and they wouldn't give him medication that he needed. And she's saying that she's horribly upset about what happened, but she's blaming the mental wellness of her son on this. It's awful.

01:03:05 - 01:03:17 | Speaker 4:

And lastly, did you guys know that when Pitbull was younger, like eight, nine years old, his family's situation in Miami was so bad. It was so unstable that he was sent to live with a foster family. I did not know that. No.

01:03:17 - 01:03:35 | Speaker 2:

I love Pitbull. But I actually lived in a foster home in Georgia when I was about, I want to say like eight years old. And I was a great family, to be honest. They really did. They showed me a lot of love and they took care of me. They wanted to adopt me. When my mom heard that, she was like, oh, I'm coming to see you after my shift is over. This is the last time you see them. Last time I saw them, by the way. But to that family, thank you so much. I appreciate you.

01:03:35 - 01:03:40 | Speaker 4:

Isn't that crazy? And he said at this point in his life, he would love to be reconnected with that family again.

01:03:41 - 01:03:58 | Speaker 2:

I lived with them probably like eight months, nine months around there. I know their names, but not at the level that I could recognize them at this point. I mean, it would be great, you know? You never know if I run into them. Speaking about them, watch. One way or another, somehow, some way, we're going to get connected. But they were great to me.

01:03:58 - 01:04:15 | Speaker 3:

Wouldn't it be amazing if he gets reconnected with them And the man who was his, you know, father there Foster father Foster dad Walks out dressed in the same outfit that he always dresses in Like, you know Those pants with the sport jacket on and the t-shirt

01:04:15 - 01:04:21 | Speaker 4:

01:04:28 - 01:04:33 | Speaker 4:

Yeah I know, I actually really like it too A little remaker.

01:04:34 - 01:04:36 | Speaker 3:

Oh, remember that?

01:04:37 - 01:04:49 | Speaker 2:

I'm such a Pitbull fan. I love Pitbull, too.

01:05:00 - 01:05:07 | Speaker 4:

He's just, like, cool, isn't he? Yes.

01:05:08 - 01:05:09 | Speaker 2:

Exudes coolness.

01:05:09 - 01:05:16 | Speaker 4:

He just has, like, a fun factor to him. I think he doesn't take himself too seriously.

01:05:16 - 01:05:20 | Speaker 2:

You know, he's not here right now, but I just want you to know Mike's our pit bull.

01:05:20 - 01:05:21 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, he is.

01:05:21 - 01:05:22 | Speaker 2:

Mike is kind of like our pit bull.

01:05:22 - 01:05:25 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, he is. Three, two, one, let's go.

01:05:25 - 01:05:26 | Unknown:

Get more dirt.

01:05:26 - 01:05:32 | Speaker 1:

At Mojo in the Morning on social media. The latest craze. It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:05:32 - 01:05:33 | Speaker 2:

Megan.

01:05:33 - 01:05:34 | Speaker 4:

That's me.

01:05:34 - 01:05:39 | Speaker 2:

You wanted to take this time right now to be grateful over something that happened.

01:05:40 - 01:05:42 | Speaker 4:

Why are you so serious right now?

01:05:43 - 01:05:44 | Unknown:

I have no idea.

01:05:44 - 01:05:44 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

01:05:45 - 01:05:46 | Speaker 2:

It's very dramatic.

01:05:46 - 01:06:54 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it was. It really was. I did want to say thank you. I feel like a lot of times we rely on our listeners to help us out with stuff, and I just wanted to say thanks. I've been talking for the past couple of days about my struggle trying to find a company to get rid of trees in my yard. I know that seems like a big deal. I'm terrified one of these trees is about to hit my house. Like, I think it's coming down slowly. It's very scary. And I was so frustrated that, like, nobody was responding to me. I couldn't find a company to do it. I brought it up on the air with my frustration. A local company here reached out to me. They have somebody coming out today. I just, I feel like sometimes I put all of my issues out there and I just kind of like vomit it to get it off my chest. And I don't really expect people to pick up the pieces. It's nice when somebody goes, oh, I totally get that. But for somebody to pick up the ball and run with it and really help me out and for me to not have to ask for it, for somebody to just reach out and do it out of the kindness of their heart. Like sometimes I'm just, I need to be reminded of how grateful I am for our listeners and how great they are to us and and really picking up the pieces of our lives and i just really wanted

01:06:54 - 01:07:03 | Speaker 2:

to say thank you what is happening to you what happened to you gratitude i this is amazing you

01:07:03 - 01:07:09 | Speaker 4:

guys are acting like i'm grateful for anything in my life i like i'm i'm listening to this going

01:07:09 - 01:07:13 | Speaker 2:

who stole our megan where did she go oh wait all right here here she is

01:07:13 - 01:07:18 | Speaker 4:

I hate this.

01:07:19 - 01:07:58 | Speaker 2:

I actually, I actually be honest with you, though. I love that you're doing that because we do have great listeners and we've heard from a lot of them over the last weeks that have been so awesome. And you know what? It is kind of nice that we have this, that we have this little opportunity to be able to talk about things that are going on in our lives. But it's amazing that listeners will pick up on things and then go, you know what? I'll take time out of my day to try to help you out with this, you know, to try to make it better for you so that you don't have to worry about the stress of, you know, the crap that you have to do in your normal, mundane, crazy life like we do. We all have.

01:07:58 - 01:08:04 | Speaker 3:

And let's be honest. We don't deserve it. We don't. And you still do nice things for us.

01:08:05 - 01:08:10 | Speaker 2:

All right. Well, you know what? Now that you did that, you got to do something nice for somebody else. Pay it forward.

01:08:10 - 01:08:12 | Speaker 3:

As long as it's not you. I know.

01:08:12 - 01:09:41 | Speaker 2:

You know what's funny is it's it's funny because of it would be nice to obviously have a friend at Delta Airlines, you know, I'm not trying to be like really selfish on things, but sometimes I would love to board before everybody else. But I will tell you this, though. No, seriously, and I'm not kidding you, but when I went through my heart surgery, the fact that I encountered so many people that over the years said that this show touched their lives and that now they were touching mine was pretty damn cool. Like, it was a really awesome thing because it got me thinking about the fact that we all kind of touch everybody's life every single day. And I'm not talking about just us here. I'm talking about you, our listener. You touch people's lives every single day. And sometimes it just doesn't get recognized like it does if we talk about it or, you know, do something on the radio with it. So it was really kind of wild how many people would say, you know what, this is, you know, something my mom listens to you. I would always get that. And I'm like, you know, hopefully you listen, too. Don't make me feel like really old. Your mom listens. And then to know that they knew my family's names, you know, like they knew my kids, my wife, they knew every one of you guys and your kids and families and stuff like that. And the fact that if I died, that death would have been on them. So that...

01:09:41 - 01:09:42 | Speaker 4:

Oh my God.

01:09:43 - 01:09:43 | Speaker 2:

I'm joking.

01:09:43 - 01:09:46 | Speaker 4:

So with that being said, we truly have the best listeners.

01:09:47 - 01:09:47 | Speaker 2:

I know.

01:09:48 - 01:09:54 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, we have a great like family. And I think we call each other family, but, like, truly, the listeners are our family.

01:09:55 - 01:09:55 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Marlene?

01:09:56 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, you guys. Oh, good morning, Marlene.

01:09:59 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 2:

How you doing?

01:10:00 - 01:10:21 | Speaker 3:

Megan, you are very welcome, and you know, you guys, I can't speak for all your listeners, but there's been plenty of times I have gotten off of work and have been so sad and depressed, like, oh, I can make it another day, but listening to you guys, I feel so much better by the time I get home, so much better.

01:10:21 - 01:10:22 | Speaker 1:

Thank you.

01:10:22 - 01:10:24 | Speaker 3:

Marlene, I love your humility.

01:10:24 - 01:10:34 | Speaker 1:

That's awesome Marlene's by the way Going to be out today Picking up the branches And everything from that tree That's in that backyard Right Marlene?

01:10:35 - 01:10:40 | Speaker 3:

01:11:01 - 01:11:02 | Speaker 1:

01:11:03 - 01:11:06 | Speaker 4:

It's just nice to know that somebody likes my bluntness. Thank you.

01:11:34 - 01:11:36 | Speaker 3:

Sometimes you just gotta be.

01:11:37 - 01:11:37 | Speaker 1:

Thanks, Carla.

01:11:38 - 01:11:39 | Speaker 3:

01:11:39 - 01:11:40 | Speaker 1:

01:11:41 - 01:11:50 | Speaker 6:

Good morning, Mojo. I wanted to call to let you know that you've been like a light in my life because I was about 14, 15 years old listening to you for a majority of my life. I'm 31 now.

01:11:50 - 01:12:00 | Speaker 1:

thanks for making me I appreciate that thank you very much what is it though that we're focusing on Megan right now what is it that you no no no no what is it Chris that you like about Megan what's your favorite

01:12:00 - 01:12:01 | Speaker 3:

thing about her

01:12:01 - 01:12:10 | Speaker 6:

oh how Megan participates in the throwback throwdown sometimes she sits there in the back and she doesn't win but sometimes those weeks she just pops off she catches everybody from behind

01:12:10 - 01:12:16 | Speaker 1:

do you think so so do you think that Megan secretly is good at the throwback throwdown she's just been kind of letting everybody else win over the years

01:12:16 - 01:12:25 | Speaker 6:

yes I think Megan She just, you know, doesn't like to speak up and stand out and be in the forefront of the crowd. Yeah, she's shy.

01:12:25 - 01:12:26 | Speaker 1:

She's shy when it comes to things.

01:12:27 - 01:12:28 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, shy winners.

01:12:29 - 01:12:43 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Chris, thank you so much. And you know what? I love people that tell me, though, that they've been listening for a long time and they'll listen with their parents because your parents are horrible parents. The fact that they let you listen to this radio show when you were younger with all the dirty stuff we've talked about.

01:12:45 - 01:12:47 | Speaker 6:

Not the best parents in the world, but they did their best.

01:12:48 - 01:13:04 | Speaker 5:

01:15:42 - 01:15:44 | Speaker 1:

Thank you so much You guys are awesome

01:15:44 - 01:15:46 | Speaker 6:

Don't go anywhere Uh-oh

01:15:46 - 01:15:47 | Speaker 1:

What happened?

01:15:48 - 01:15:52 | Speaker 6:

I got a story I want to do Actually, I want a couple stories You mind if I get a couple stories in it real quick?

01:15:52 - 01:15:56 | Speaker 3:

Okay I feel like I have to like sit up straight in my chair You just played the very official music

01:15:56 - 01:16:19 | Speaker 6:

Yes Here's a story that is trending this morning that I think we can have a little discussion on this one and find out your thoughts. But what would you do if you walked into a McDonald's and the person behind the counter was 10 years old? Listen to this. An investigation of a McDonald's that is hiring 10-year-olds to work for them.

01:16:19 - 01:16:59 | Speaker 2:

Three companies that run McDonald's restaurants in our area are accused of overworking young children, including letting 10-year-olds work in the kitchen. The U.S. Department of Labor investigated Louisville-based Bauer Food, the Bell Restaurant Group, and Archways Richwood out of Walton. All three operate dozens of McDonald's in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Maryland. The agency found more than 300 children worked more than the legally permitted hours, some of them past 2 a.m. Two 10-year-olds worked in the kitchen without pay, one of them handling a deep fryer. All three companies are now facing civil penalties and totaling more than $212,000.

01:17:00 - 01:17:00 | Speaker 6:

Wow.

01:17:01 - 01:17:09 | Speaker 3:

Who are the kids? Were they somebody's kids that they couldn't find child care for and brought them into work? Or what was the situation? But why were they working?

01:17:09 - 01:17:11 | Speaker 4:

Why weren't they sitting in a booth?

01:17:11 - 01:17:22 | Speaker 6:

No. Let me say this to you. Work. And I would like to hire them because nobody can find anybody to work nowadays. Why not have a 10-year-old work behind the counter? Pay them, though.

01:17:22 - 01:17:25 | Speaker 4:

No, people want to work for a livable wage, okay?

01:17:25 - 01:17:29 | Speaker 6:

But McDonald's is paying $17 an hour right now, $18 an hour.

01:17:29 - 01:17:34 | Speaker 4:

We don't want child labor in this country. What is wrong with you?

01:17:34 - 01:17:40 | Speaker 6:

If a 10-year-old is doing that, he's not on his gaming system. Oh, my God.

01:17:40 - 01:17:44 | Speaker 5:

Kids should be on their gaming system because it's the last time they're going to enjoy their life.

01:17:44 - 01:18:02 | Speaker 6:

Listen, I'm going to say this to you right now. With the people that we've had come through here to try to be promotions assistants, we would hire Shannon. Is Smith doing anything this weekend? Would he like to set up a tent? He would be a very dedicated promotions team member. What's the soap store that you do stuff at? Buff City Soap. Buff City Soap.

01:18:02 - 01:18:04 | Speaker 3:

I'll be there next in two weeks.

01:18:05 - 01:18:17 | Speaker 6:

Yes. What do you think about this, Lydia? What do you think? Ten-year-olds working. Would you feel weird if you got served at a restaurant or whatever? or they handed you your McDonald's at a restaurant and they were 10 years old?

01:18:17 - 01:18:19 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's completely inappropriate.

01:18:19 - 01:18:32 | Speaker 3:

To be honest, I probably wouldn't think anything of it. I'd be like, oh, it must be take your kid to work day. You know, like I wouldn't, unless I went multiple times and saw a 10-year-old, but a 10-year-old working the deep fryer, I mean, that's super dangerous.

01:18:32 - 01:18:43 | Speaker 6:

I want to know who's the youngest person that ever had a job. Like, what was the job that you had? And obviously, you know why they're not getting paid? And you say they're not getting paid. They are getting paid. They're getting paid under the table.

01:18:44 - 01:18:46 | Speaker 3:

Or in French fries and Nuggies. Nuggies.

01:18:46 - 01:18:54 | Speaker 6:

And Happy Meal toys. All right. If the kid calls him Nuggies, then he's not allowed to. I call him Nuggies. He's not allowed to work there. You're not allowed to work there either.

01:18:54 - 01:18:56 | Speaker 3:

Chicky Nuggies. What do you call them?

01:18:57 - 01:19:01 | Speaker 6:

Nuggets. They're not called Nuggies. What do you, you really call them Nuggies? Chicky Nuggies.

01:19:02 - 01:19:03 | Speaker 5:

Ask my kid how I order them.

01:19:03 - 01:19:04 | Speaker 6:

Really?

01:19:05 - 01:19:08 | Speaker 5:

You did not just pull out the NSYNC McDonald's thing.

01:19:08 - 01:19:09 | Speaker 6:

I did.

01:19:11 - 01:19:12 | Speaker 5:

I'm loving it.

01:19:12 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 6:

There you go. comments on that, 844 Mojo Live. All right, next story I want to bring up, and I want to get comments on this one too. I love this mom, and I don't know why people would ever do this, you know, where they have to mom shame somebody. But a mom sent her three-year-old to school with a pack of Pringles as a snack and received a note on the leftover little plastic container that said, and it was from the teacher, that said that the snack was not appropriate. The mom showed the note to everybody that was on her social media, and the note said, please help us make healthy choices at school.

01:20:00 - 01:20:01 | Speaker 5:

This is not a healthy choice.

01:20:02 - 01:20:12 | Speaker 1:

It's a pack of Pringles for a three-year-old kid. I would have so many thoughts about that if that showed up in Smith or Lucy's lunch bag when I got it back at the after school.

01:20:12 - 01:20:18 | Speaker 5:

Listen, first off, sending it home, which is trash. Why are you sending the trash home and doing that?

01:20:18 - 01:20:41 | Speaker 1:

And can I be honest with you? I love my kids to death. Packing lunches by the end of the school year is the death of me. oh my god whatever i have gets thrown into their lunch oh they do i mean teachers will say at the beginning of the year you know we try to make healthy choices and blah but i mean you i don't

01:20:41 - 01:20:54 | Speaker 5:

did i ever tell you about how my dad pringles isn't even that unhealthy my dad when my mom died would make the lunches for us and he would never put the lunch food in proper like cellophane like

01:20:54 - 01:20:58 | Speaker 1:

you know sandwich bags or whatever it was throw in a sandwich he would just throw the sandwich

01:20:58 - 01:21:34 | Speaker 5:

right into the bag and as far as like the extras and stuff that you would get my dad would throw you know like a can of peanuts planters peanuts in there a big old can of them or do you remember those cheese balls that used to come in the little cylinder like the blue cylinder yes my dad would take they were like planters my dad would take the whole thing instead of putting some of them in a bag and putting them in there the whole thing and throw it in the bag oh my god i love it i was the hit uh mojo in the morning show sandy what's going on we're talking about uh these couple of stories here the mcdonald's hiring 10 year olds and the mom getting shamed for sending pringles

01:21:34 - 01:21:58 | Speaker 4:

with her three-year-old yeah i was um telling the girl who answered the phone i have read the article lydia okay sorry about that um i read the article on the mcdonald's thing and they were saying that at least one of the 10 year olds i don't know if both 10 year olds it was um the manager's child and she didn't have a sitter so she would just bring the child to work and put

01:21:58 - 01:22:16 | Speaker 1:

the kid to work which i understand that i mean sometimes you do you're in a huge bind with child care and you don't know what to do so you bring your kids wherever you're going but the fact that she had them like work in the the deep fryer like megan said why not just put them in a booth and you know with some coloring books or an ipad or something i mean at that point

01:22:16 - 01:22:23 | Speaker 5:

some of the people that do work the deep fryer these kids are probably more responsible i thought I think that there's nothing wrong with that. Really?

01:22:23 - 01:22:26 | Speaker 1:

I'm just saying if you're the manager, you know that that can get you in a lot of trouble.

01:22:26 - 01:22:34 | Speaker 5:

Well, I understand. But the mom, here's the mom. The mom was right there probably with them, right? She was, you know, there at work. It was during her shift.

01:22:34 - 01:22:49 | Speaker 4:

Probably not. Listen. It doesn't really say that because it says that they were working the drive-thru, the register, the deep fryer. I mean, they were a full-on employee, but her reasoning was she didn't have a sitter. Right.

01:22:49 - 01:22:55 | Speaker 1:

Which I understand and have empathy for. I just, I also understand why this is such a big story because.

01:22:55 - 01:22:55 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah.

01:22:56 - 01:22:56 | Speaker 1:

You know.

01:22:57 - 01:23:07 | Speaker 4:

I think my first job, I was 14 and barely knew what I was doing at 14 to handle the public and stuff, it felt like. So, yeah, it's crazy.

01:23:08 - 01:23:11 | Speaker 5:

By the way, we also hire children on this radio show, just so you know that.

01:23:11 - 01:23:17 | Speaker 4:

Channel 955 is coming up, partner. Yep, it's coming.

01:23:17 - 01:23:21 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, see that? That's your next DJ following us.

01:23:21 - 01:23:22 | Speaker 4:

Have a great morning, everyone.

01:23:23 - 01:23:27 | Speaker 1:

You've got to be careful. She's listening right now. If she's listening right now, she's going to make you pay her. Hi, Lucy.

01:23:28 - 01:23:29 | Speaker 5:

What's up, Rachel?

01:23:30 - 01:23:50 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so, Mojo, I totally agree with you. One, because somewhere in there, the parents of these 10-year-olds had to have known that they were working. And two, this is teaching them work ethic, and it's teaching them how to cook. It's teaching them how to stay out of the streets. And like you said, it's teaching them to stay off the electronics. Yeah.

01:23:51 - 01:24:01 | Speaker 5:

Listen, how many times do your kids say, Mom, what are you making me for dinner? And you've been like, go make yourself something yourself. Well, guess what? These kids never scream for their mom to make them something for dinner.

01:24:01 - 01:24:04 | Speaker 2:

Do we all get about child labor laws?

01:24:05 - 01:24:10 | Speaker 5:

And yet you wear stuff from, you buy from Amazon all the time that is made by little hands.

01:24:12 - 01:24:18 | Speaker 4:

You want to get into this? What's your phone, man? Where did your battery come from? We'll assemble it.

01:24:18 - 01:24:20 | Speaker 5:

I have no problem. I have no problem with it.

01:24:20 - 01:24:23 | Speaker 3:

You are a terrible human being.

01:24:23 - 01:24:25 | Speaker 5:

What's up? Morgan, hi. It's Mojo in the Morning.

01:24:26 - 01:24:27 | Speaker 3:

Good morning.

01:24:27 - 01:24:27 | Speaker 5:

Hi.

01:24:28 - 01:24:38 | Speaker 3:

So from age 12 to 17, I worked at carnival food trailers at different fairs and festivals all over Michigan.

01:24:38 - 01:24:42 | Speaker 1:

Is it because your family owned the elephant ear truck and stuff like that?

01:24:42 - 01:24:43 | Speaker 5:

Or you were a runaway.

01:24:45 - 01:24:54 | Speaker 3:

Definitely not a runaway. It was a family friend that my grandma worked for, and I wanted a summer job to save up for my first car, so that was my job.

01:24:55 - 01:25:07 | Speaker 5:

You know, you're probably a better person for doing it, right? You probably... learned a lot i i learned responsibility a lot faster yeah i bet um would you make elephant

01:25:07 - 01:25:17 | Speaker 1:

errors and dip them into the uh the vat of i did i was in the elephant air trailer for four years see that and you never burn your hands off did you

01:25:17 - 01:25:21 | Speaker 5:

uh i had a few burns okay thank you for the call

01:25:21 - 01:25:29 | Speaker 1:

Nice to talk to you I appreciate it Have a great day Morgan

01:25:29 - 01:25:30 | Speaker 5:

You too

01:25:30 - 01:25:38 | Speaker 1:

What's up Felipe Hey how's it going It's going good buddy what's going on

01:25:38 - 01:25:49 | Speaker 2:

Good nothing from like Around like 13 and 14 I used to spend my summers in Columbus And I would roof with family And do like some Concrete work

01:25:50 - 01:25:50 | Unknown:

Okay.

01:25:50 - 01:25:51 | Speaker 2:

You would what?

01:25:51 - 01:25:52 | Speaker 4:

And it was family business?

01:25:53 - 01:26:05 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Well, it's not my family, but I'm related to them, so I would just go there for my summers and make, like, we would do roof repairs and then we would make like that.

01:26:05 - 01:26:10 | Speaker 1:

They would put you as a 13-year-old on the roof of a home?

01:26:11 - 01:26:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. I'd put shingles up. I'd carry shingles up there and everything.

01:26:16 - 01:26:18 | Speaker 7:

OSHA? We've never heard of her.

01:26:19 - 01:26:29 | Speaker 1:

Megan needs a tree trimmer. Would you like to climb and cut her trees? No, not at all. Megan, that's what you need. Maybe you need like a 10-year-old neighborhood kid to come by and do that for you.

01:26:29 - 01:26:37 | Speaker 6:

This is so wild that we're putting children in dangerous situations and being like, I put hair on my chest and also could have killed children. What is wrong with you people?

01:26:38 - 01:26:44 | Speaker 1:

Listen, I'm telling you, these kids these days, I'm telling you, they need this discipline. Believe me, I've raised three of them.

01:26:45 - 01:26:52 | Speaker 4:

The family business ones feel different to me. Like, they're all in it together They understand, you know

01:26:52 - 01:26:53 | Speaker 1:

They're all in this together

01:26:53 - 01:26:59 | Speaker 4:

I just immediately think of High School Musical I don't know, that's very different to me It's the family biz

01:26:59 - 01:27:08 | Speaker 1:

Most of my Chaldean friends And Lydia, you know this Your dad, you know, probably brought you to work And made you do stuff for him from time to time, right?

01:27:08 - 01:27:11 | Speaker 7:

My dad worked in a liquor store at 9 years old Really?

01:27:11 - 01:27:21 | Speaker 1:

See that? And now, he's working He owns 12,000 liquor stores He's an entrepreneur What's up, Jake?

01:27:22 - 01:27:40 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so long story short My mom passed when I was 11 My dad left for different states when he was 12 My brother was 21 at the time He took over custody of us And we needed some way to keep up the house So at 11 years old I went down to the gas station down the street And was stocking beer in the back cooler at the gas station

01:27:40 - 01:28:09 | Speaker 1:

See that? That is like a sad happy and funny story also all in the same one well i mean every time i tell people my first job they always get a good laugh out of it i mean honestly there's a lot of uh of families that you know deal with you know mom raising the kids by herself and sometimes mom needs to put the kids to work i get that and that's cool that you as a kid you weren't opposed to it right you were

01:28:09 - 01:28:19 | Speaker 3:

were you okay with doing it oh no my brother had down syndrome so i mean there was anything we could do to keep uh the three brothers together we did anything we could go ahead megan say something

01:28:19 - 01:28:24 | Speaker 1:

negative about this call ocean him you want to call ocean him go ahead no that makes me so sad

01:28:24 - 01:28:36 | Speaker 7:

that there are so many kids out there that have to work because they have to pay the bills that doesn't break your heart that doesn't make me go oh i'm so glad for their work ethic it makes me go What a horrific situation you had to grow up in.

01:28:36 - 01:28:44 | Speaker 3:

Hey, let me tell you what. I have probably the best work ethic of anybody that I work with now because of the situation that I went through.

01:28:44 - 01:28:48 | Speaker 7:

Which is great, but I'm sorry that you had to go through that situation. My heart breaks for you.

01:28:48 - 01:28:49 | Speaker 1:

Quick question.

01:28:49 - 01:28:49 | Speaker 3:

Well, I appreciate it.

01:28:49 - 01:28:53 | Speaker 1:

What are you doing this weekend? Would you like to set up a tent at Buff City Soap?

01:28:54 - 01:28:57 | Speaker 3:

I would love to for you guys. I would do anything for you guys.

01:28:57 - 01:29:01 | Speaker 1:

Don't confuse people. Thanks, buddy. I appreciate you, Jake. Take care of yourself. No problem.

01:29:02 - 01:29:03 | Speaker 4:

It is the 19th.

01:29:04 - 01:29:24 | Speaker 1:

No, my favorite is yesterday. I went out to lunch with Cody and, what the hell, Crystal from our marketing department, and they were talking to me about, you know, trying to find promo people and how the promo people are. Yeah. They are few and far between, man. Nobody wants to be, you know, a radio.

01:29:24 - 01:29:25 | Speaker 6:

Ready for their lives out there.

01:29:25 - 01:29:32 | Speaker 1:

And let me say this to you. But it's very, very hard work. If you start off as a promo person, you can be on the radio. You're a promo person, right, KP? I started as a promo person. Same here.

01:29:32 - 01:29:33 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:29:33 - 01:31:44 | Speaker 1:

So it's your foot in the door. So if you want a job and you want to do it, seriously do it. But we were talking about that yesterday and I was like, do you remember the days when literally it was like you turned away hundreds of people that wanted to? Now we make 10-year-olds. Do it. All right, it is Mojo on the morning show. So first, before I get into this whole thing, I want you to know that I am pro-legalization of marijuana. all right i just want to say that the only reason i want to say that because i don't want anybody coming after me because they think that i am like opposed to people being able to you know smoke weed and enjoy edibles but it's got to stop guys it's got to stop yesterday i'm at the mall and i'm picking up my son's clothes for his prom and his graduation and i am in the department store I won't say which one, and I'm in the department store, and I'm not kidding you, I thought I was in a dispensary because the amount of weed smell that I heard, or I smelled all over the place. It was so pungent. Do we need to go over the five cents? I could hear it. That's how bad it was. Or was it you? It was honestly so bad. Ready for this? So bad that when I got in my car after being in the store for probably a half an hour or I could still smell it on me I got the contact on me from it it rubbed off it was so amazing and all I kept thinking to myself was the people who go and they just smoke weed and they go into a store like that they can't try clothes on in the oh I didn't even think about that because all the clothes are gonna smell yeah it's gonna all smell and and so I wanted to kind of just throw this out there and i don't want to be you know too you know we've had a happy kind of fun upbeat show it seems like today uh all having fun but i just want to throw this out there and ask the question where's the craziest place that you smelled weed because that to me was crazy but it's also i'm sure crazier when people smell it in other places i'm telling you every time i take

01:31:44 - 01:31:59 | Speaker 2:

the kids to see Disney on ice. I get a contact high. Stop it. Why are you smoking weed at Disney on ice? I don't know. No, I know. You're right. You're right. It probably makes the show up. Okay, but...

01:31:59 - 01:32:02 | Speaker 1:

Are they the characters that are in the costumes or who are they that are doing this?

01:32:02 - 01:32:12 | Speaker 2:

It's like tradition at this point that Smith will go, Mom, it smells like there's a skunk in the building. I'm like, it does. It really does.

01:32:12 - 01:32:14 | Speaker 1:

It is unbelievable.

01:32:14 - 01:32:15 | Speaker 2:

Every time.

01:32:16 - 01:32:21 | Speaker 1:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Liz, what's happening?

01:32:22 - 01:32:23 | Speaker 4:

Hey, how are you?

01:32:23 - 01:32:24 | Speaker 1:

Good. What's going on?

01:32:25 - 01:32:53 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so my comment is I have a feeling I know the mall that he was at. Yes. I used to work there. I'm not going to name it, but I used to work there. And as a manager, we had a huge issue with customers, like, baking in the car, coming in, like, leaving a trail of weed everywhere, and then having to be escorted out. So, it was, like, a huge issue. A lot of people were complaining about the smell. Super, super stressed.

01:32:53 - 01:33:08 | Speaker 1:

It was unbelievable. Yeah, I know exactly. Like, I'm not going to – and I like the smell of weed. I actually don't mind it so much. But it was so bad, like I was saying, that there was a couple of moments all I wanted to do was go to the food court and get the Chick-fil-A that they have there, you know?

01:33:09 - 01:33:25 | Speaker 4:

Well, good thing, yeah. Good thing they have it there. But, yeah, no, the thing is, like, people would come into my store and they'd be like, you know what, I just went into this one other place for five minutes. It smells so bad, like marijuana. So they had, like, weed. I'm like, yeah, I hear this, like, every day. It's a huge problem.

01:33:25 - 01:33:35 | Speaker 1:

Can't you do edibles? Honestly, like if I smell you at a traffic light, I'm like, can't you just go get a couple gummies and enjoy it? Or vape pens don't smell as bad. What's up, Jennifer?

01:33:37 - 01:34:16 | Speaker 3:

So my wife and I went to my daughter's middle school choir concert. Middle school, right? And we're sitting there, and the people behind us had their kid that kept crying. So they took him out in the lobby. I don't know, 10, 15 minutes later to come back, reeks of weed. I'm thinking, we're going to have a school event for middle school. I'm sorry. Like, couldn't you have waited until afterwards? Like, did you get your kid high to quiet them down? Left out from all of, like, the bad singing.

01:34:18 - 01:34:47 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. You are the best. Jennifer, thank you so much. appreciate it. Oh my God. Look at this. Oh my God. Are you, I know you're trying to call these people. I'll read them, but I want them to call. 419 says, all the time at the hospital I work at in the labor and delivery area. It smells like weed. Those kids aren't crying. I guarantee you they're not crying.

01:34:48 - 01:34:51 | Speaker 4:

It's a stressful day for dad. He has to hold a woman's hand.

01:34:51 - 01:35:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's true. I guess it calms you down a little bit. Ready for this one? Mojo, have you ever been to the county? courthouse because i have people smelling like weed with the law right there i know it's legal but what's going on carrie how you doing i'm good how are you good where does it smell like weed all

01:35:13 - 01:35:25 | Speaker 2:

the time my favorite is when i get my store deliveries and the driver or the shopper has been smoking in the car while they're bringing it to my home yes that's a big one you smell

01:35:25 - 01:35:26 | Speaker 1:

That's a big one.

01:35:26 - 01:35:34 | Speaker 2:

Most recently, birthday presents I needed same day were delivered, and I literally couldn't give my cousin her gift because it was so bad.

01:35:35 - 01:35:36 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh, yes, because they'll think it's you.

01:35:38 - 01:35:43 | Speaker 2:

Well, just in general, and it seeps through the food and also just the bag.

01:35:44 - 01:35:53 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you know what? That happens a lot, like any time that you get. It seems like, honestly, the Instacart people are the big smokers. Yeah. What's going on, Bella?

01:35:54 - 01:36:02 | Speaker 3:

Hi, I'm Bella. So I'm a first-grade teacher, and sometimes students have that smell on them when they come to school. Oh, yeah.

01:36:02 - 01:36:04 | Speaker 1:

From their parents?

01:36:04 - 01:36:13 | Speaker 3:

I'm assuming so. I teach first grade, so I'm assuming so. And one time at conferences, a parent totally not liked it.

01:36:14 - 01:36:16 | Speaker 1:

You know who it is right away then, right?

01:36:17 - 01:36:17 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:36:18 - 01:36:19 | Speaker 1:

Oh, wow. First-grade kids.

01:36:20 - 01:36:22 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's very sad.

01:36:22 - 01:36:24 | Speaker 1:

Tracy, where was it?

01:36:25 - 01:36:47 | Speaker 5:

I'm a terrible human being. I got high at the Holocaust Museum. Oh, gosh. Well, okay, even I have limits. I didn't smoke. I took an edible there, and then I went in, and I started hyperventilating because it was terrifying. Yeah, what were you doing? And it was my birthday.

01:36:48 - 01:36:52 | Speaker 1:

Oh, jeez. By the way, the Holocaust Museum, I'm sure...

01:36:52 - 01:37:00 | Speaker 5:

Were you shepherding a field trip? I, I, no, thank God. I was there for my birthday, but it was, um, I went to the one in Washington, D.C., actually.

01:37:01 - 01:37:05 | Speaker 1:

Okay, because I was going to say, the one that's by us here in West Bloomfield is amazing.

01:37:06 - 01:37:10 | Speaker 5:

I was going to say, not that the museums, both of those are not amazing, but I didn't know why you chose to go on your birthday.

01:37:10 - 01:37:11 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, no.

01:37:11 - 01:37:16 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I feel like it's an important place to go, don't get me wrong, but it seems like a weird choice for a birthday celebration.

01:37:16 - 01:37:17 | Speaker 6:

Right.

01:37:17 - 01:37:21 | Speaker 1:

Of sound mind and body, please, when you're there. What's going on, Chris?

01:37:22 - 01:37:22 | Speaker 7:

Hi.

01:37:23 - 01:37:27 | Speaker 1:

Hi. Oh, I smell it all the time here. I know you're going to call out. Where do you smell it?

01:37:29 - 01:37:48 | Speaker 7:

Well, at the movie theater. So my son and I, we live in Ohio, so it's not legal here. And we had went on vacation in Chicago, and, you know, we smelled it. It's legal there, so we smelled it on the streets of Chicago, and we were at the movie theater, and he said, Mom, it smells like Chicago here.

01:37:51 - 01:37:51 | Speaker 1:

That's awesome.

01:37:52 - 01:38:43 | Speaker 6:

uh leah where were you i was at work and i work in a doctor's office oh man and it was actually a co-worker oh is this co-worker a nurse or one of the office people she she's a nurse however um it wasn't actually her husband smokes weed so she actually put a sweater on that he had just worn and going outside and wore it to work. So the whole day she smelled like weed and nobody said anything because we were so scared to say anything. But this poor nurse, like after the fact, the next day she came in and she was so mortified. I felt so bad. But, yeah, the whole day she just reeked like weed. So she'd be bringing patients back to rooms, and every time she would walk by, you would just get that wash.

01:38:44 - 01:38:48 | Speaker 1:

All the patients left the rooms with a big smile on their face, right?

01:38:48 - 01:38:51 | Speaker 6:

Oh, exactly. They're probably thinking, I want what she's got.

01:38:52 - 01:38:54 | Speaker 1:

Right. What's up, Kate?

01:38:55 - 01:39:08 | Speaker 6:

Hi. Hi. So I took my daughter to the Fisher Theater to see Cocomelon Live, and I was so excited. But the entire place, recently, there was...

01:39:08 - 01:39:16 | Speaker 5:

I'm telling you, these kids' shows, it's a hot spot. I know. I was like, I understand why you're doing it, but I'm kind of worried my two and a half don't be on that spot.

01:39:18 - 01:39:27 | Speaker 1:

Somebody just texted in and said at a funeral that they went to, it reeked of weed. And then the labor and delivery texter, Laura, answered her phone. Laura, are you there?

01:39:29 - 01:39:29 | Speaker 4:

I am.

01:39:29 - 01:39:33 | Speaker 1:

Who is it? Is it the, hopefully not the mom that's the one that smelled like weed, right?

01:39:34 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 4:

Well, sometimes postpartum, after they had the baby. But usually in the labor and delivery, it was the dads. You'd see them go out and be gone for a little while. And then they'd come back and the whole room would smell. I walked in a room once, there was a guy laid out his stuff on her bedside table and was rolling a blunt right there. Oh, my gosh. Do you say something to him?

01:40:00 - 01:40:02 | Speaker 3:

What's happening or? Nope.

01:40:03 - 01:40:05 | Speaker 2:

Oh my. Wow. Nope.

01:40:05 - 01:40:05 | Speaker 3:

Oh my.

01:40:06 - 01:40:09 | Speaker 2:

I'm not going to be that one. Rolling doobies.

01:40:10 - 01:40:13 | Speaker 3:

Be part of the show. 844-MOJO-LIVE.

01:40:14 - 01:40:18 | Speaker 1:

844-665-6548. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:40:20 - 01:40:36 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning show. Have you guys met our producer, KP? I know anytime that we post pictures KP you always Will get people that will go Oh my god

01:40:36 - 01:40:37 | Speaker 2:

She's a bombshell

01:40:37 - 01:41:06 | Speaker 3:

They love KP And by the way she is as pretty as she is Outside she is pretty inside Such a sweetheart And we would like to forewarn Every single guy Whose parent Listens to this radio show that your parent probably has already sent us a letter or an email typically or text saying that they want to set up their kid with you. Is that right?

01:41:06 - 01:42:07 | Speaker 1:

So it's not just one. Over the last couple months, I've had surprisingly more dads sending me like resumes for their child, like their son being like, hey, KP, I think you guys would be good. This is legit one of the messages that I received from a dad. I think you would be very compatible with my son. He is working on his responsibility and emotions. He just got out of a long-term relationship. I think you should date him. He's on the left. He is very handsome. The other is his brother. Please consider dating him. My phone number is blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Have a nice day. And it's like, first and foremost, this is a whole new level of helicopter parent. That's true. That man looks like he's 30. Well, I wonder if his son is aware that his dad said that to you. I don't think he's aware. I really don't. Is he cute? No. Okay. I'm sorry. Oh, that's so mean. Yeah, I'm a meanie. Come on. I'm a big meanie.

01:42:07 - 01:42:09 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no, no, no, I know. But is the brother cuter?

01:42:10 - 01:42:14 | Speaker 1:

Actually, yeah. But I'm not going to answer that.

01:42:14 - 01:42:23 | Speaker 3:

That's so nice, by the way, of the dad, though, looking out for his kid. But that would be embarrassing for a kid to know that their parents out there putting out feels.

01:42:23 - 01:42:34 | Speaker 1:

I feel terrible. But even if somebody was cute, I feel like I still wouldn't reply just because it's just, I don't know. I don't know. I feel like it's kind of weird. It's kind of sweet.

01:42:34 - 01:42:44 | Speaker 2:

Mojo, you've set up all your kids. My mom set me up before when I was in college, and actually, she set me up with a great guy. I mean, it didn't end up working out, but yeah.

01:42:45 - 01:43:00 | Speaker 3:

Has this ever happened where your parents sent you up on a date? If you're somebody that your mom or your dad does this all the time, will you call us up at 844-MOJO-LIVE? 844-665-6548 does it embarrass you when you find out that your parent is uh is doing this

01:43:00 - 01:43:12 | Speaker 1:

I feel like I don't know what it is about older people they just feel like every time they meet somebody that's young their brain is calculating who do I know who do I know who do I know can I

01:43:12 - 01:43:46 | Speaker 3:

set them up with and it's like bro we're fine well it's funny you're fine it's funny because Do you remember the first time That you ever met Chelsea My wife What was the thing that Chelsea and I Were talking right away to you about I think you'd be great with Jed Well no Chelsea didn't say Jed right away She asked you the question of Who do you like And you told her you like tall I like funny You like funny And you like somebody that's got kind of like A little bit of a country type of a feel

01:43:46 - 01:43:52 | Speaker 1:

My order was funny, tall, and then athletic because I like to do activities.

01:43:53 - 01:44:03 | Speaker 3:

But the funny thing is, I don't necessarily know. Chelsea never really said Jed right off the bat, did she? You said Jed. I said Jed. Chelsea never said Jed. And then it was when Jed then came in that all of a sudden you guys made.

01:44:03 - 01:44:08 | Speaker 2:

I was going to say, I feel like the Jed thing, it was you and Jed that created you and Jed.

01:44:08 - 01:44:20 | Speaker 1:

No. It was Moja's idea. Well, no, no, no, no. It was you bringing it up. I remember we were at the dinner table and you're like, you would be great with Jed. And Chelsea's like, yeah. Before you guys met in person? Yeah, before you met. Okay.

01:44:20 - 01:44:28 | Speaker 3:

I understand that, but when they came to town to go for the jingle ball, I didn't say, you guys get together.

01:44:28 - 01:44:33 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no. You guys get together on your own. No, that was on our own because we were producing together. Yeah.

01:44:34 - 01:44:34 | Speaker 3:

Producing.

01:44:35 - 01:44:41 | Speaker 1:

Guys, calm down. We were producing. If you know what I mean. Oh, my God.

01:44:41 - 01:44:43 | Speaker 3:

What's going on, Ashley? How you doing?

01:44:44 - 01:44:46 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. Good. Thank you. How are you guys?

01:44:46 - 01:44:55 | Speaker 3:

We're doing good. So anytime that KP gets posted on our social media, occasionally we'll get like these comments from the dads and moms that want to set them up.

01:44:57 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 1:

Yes. So about eight years ago.

01:45:00 - 01:45:56 | Speaker 3:

got a text from my dad asking if i wanted to meet a guy and well actually he had my two-year-old nephew ask if i wanted to meet a guy and i said maybe and what had happened is my dad was in the air force and his longtime friend co-worker two of them um knew someone that they now worked with in the air force and said hey we have one for ashley he's a single dad and has a kid and ashley loves kids why don't we set them up and we've been together since our first day and been married for five years oh my gosh that's a sweet story so it actually can work out it can be it worked out yeah all right i didn't want to but i trusted those people because they knew my dad they knew me and it worked out um ruth what's happening hey ruth oh hi mojo how you doing i'm good how are you

01:45:56 - 01:46:00 | Speaker 1:

We're doing good. We're talking about when your parents try to set you up. Do your parents do

01:46:00 - 01:46:16 | Speaker 4:

this? Oh, my mom sent a resume with my picture to a doctor without telling me that was advertising for an office manager. So I ended up going out on the interview and ended up marrying him.

01:46:17 - 01:46:24 | Speaker 1:

Oh my gosh. That's actually kind of cool. I love though that she just was doing it to get you a

01:46:24 - 01:46:44 | Speaker 4:

job right she wasn't doing it to get you yeah she she was reading the observer and she goes oh i read this ad and it sounded just like you so i sent your resume and i was like what and she goes and a picture i go a picture no one sends a picture see that though it worked out that's a good

01:46:44 - 01:47:11 | Speaker 1:

situation maybe uh send a picture if you are good looking you know like i honestly i think that uh This is actually a fine thing to do. So we're accepting, instead of tapes and resumes, we're accepting pictures and resumes for your children if they would like to date any of the single Mojo in the Morning show ladies, KP and Megan.

01:47:12 - 01:47:13 | Speaker 2:

Or send a TikTok submission.

01:47:14 - 01:47:15 | Speaker 1:

What's going on, Rebecca?

01:47:15 - 01:47:33 | Speaker 2:

so one time me and my younger daughter had went to the me market and i was asking the guy my older daughter like oh how old are you are you single and asking him all these questions and then when me and my other daughter left she was like he totally thought you were trying to hook up with

01:47:33 - 01:47:43 | Speaker 1:

him yourself oh no you know that's an interesting one because people are texting and saying that they feel like maybe the dad was the creepy old man trying to set be set up with kp and he wasn't

01:47:43 - 01:47:52 | Speaker 2:

doing it for his so that's interesting that maybe yeah so yeah i kind of stopped doing that uh lynn

01:47:52 - 01:47:58 | Speaker 1:

what's up hello hello are you british you started to british with your hello

01:47:58 - 01:49:04 | Speaker 5:

no i'm actually i'm killed in oh nice yeah many years ago my mother wanted me to meet this guy so i met this guy after she didn't know much about him she just knew that he came from a nice family and you know and that's it basically she knew the mom so i met this guy after church and he asked me to to you know go have coffee with him so i was like okay fine he was ugly okay he was not a good looking guy all right all right fair you're being very honest i appreciate that i am and um so i go out with him and it was like a disaster of a date and towards the end i even I said, oh, I think I'm going to go across the street and get an ice cream. You would think that he would say, oh, okay, I'll go with you. No, he didn't say anything. So, like, okay, fine, whatever. This is not a match. So, I go home, and I tell my mom, yeah, I went out with him. Now it's not going to work. She looks at me, and she says, you ran out with him? And I'm like, yeah. She's like, Lynn, I didn't think you would go out with him. He's so ugly.

01:49:05 - 01:49:08 | Speaker 4:

I'm like, oh, my gosh, Mom. You're the one who told me to go out with him.

01:49:09 - 01:49:36 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my. By the way Okay real quick I thought you were going to say in the end of this thing And now we're married Because they always end the story with that But secondly I was going to add I got two more questions for you The second question is Isn't that a Chaldean moms thing though Like don't Chaldean moms For those who don't know what Chaldeans are Chaldeans are Iraqi Catholics Predominant in the Detroit area Blah blah blah blah

01:49:36 - 01:49:38 | Speaker 5:

And all the girls are so pretty it's not fair

01:49:38 - 01:49:46 | Speaker 1:

And Lydia, actually, who answers the phones, is Keldian. But isn't that kind of the thing? They already know who the person is they want to set you up with, like somebody else's kid, right?

01:49:47 - 01:49:49 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, but she'd never met him.

01:49:49 - 01:49:53 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. All right. And question number three, do you have a cold?

01:49:54 - 01:49:57 | Speaker 5:

No, it's just how I talk. Oh, okay.

01:49:57 - 01:49:57 | Speaker 3:

All right.

01:49:57 - 01:49:58 | Speaker 1:

I thought you had a cold.

01:49:58 - 01:50:04 | Speaker 3:

Put him in his place. No, I thought. I thought you had a cold there for a second. I was going to say. Poor thing. Allergies are bad. That was so rude.

01:50:04 - 01:50:05 | Speaker 2:

Listen.

01:50:07 - 01:50:09 | Speaker 5:

Get him. Get him.

01:50:09 - 01:50:19 | Speaker 2:

I was showing concern for you, Lynn. If you don't want me to be concerned for your. If you don't want me to show concern for your health, I was going to actually, you know.

01:50:20 - 01:50:25 | Speaker 3:

We have about 60 bottles of nasal spray in the studio right now. For real.

01:50:25 - 01:50:27 | Speaker 1:

Somebody sent us nasal spray.

01:50:27 - 01:50:29 | Speaker 5:

We all sounded stuffy and sick.

01:50:30 - 01:50:32 | Speaker 2:

I'm sorry about that, Lynn. I apologize.

01:50:33 - 01:50:33 | Speaker 5:

Whatever.

01:50:35 - 01:50:38 | Speaker 2:

I really didn't mean that. I appreciate it.

01:50:38 - 01:50:41 | Speaker 5:

Now I'm going to hang up, okay? All right. Oh, boy.

01:50:41 - 01:50:45 | Speaker 2:

Lynn, Lynn. Are you a married woman, Lynn?

01:50:46 - 01:50:51 | Speaker 5:

I am very happily married to the love of my life. Almost 19 years. Oh, good for you guys.

01:50:51 - 01:50:52 | Speaker 2:

That's sweet. All right.

01:50:52 - 01:50:54 | Speaker 5:

And we are super-duper happy.

01:50:54 - 01:50:57 | Speaker 2:

And how much better looking is he than the ugly guy that you went on the date with?

01:50:57 - 01:51:06 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my gosh. My husband is gorgeous. He is, like, heart-throb gorgeous. You got any sons?

01:51:07 - 01:51:09 | Speaker 4:

Send me their resume.

01:51:09 - 01:51:14 | Speaker 5:

Oh, boys. Heart-throb gorgeous. All right. Well, I expect to do that later.

01:51:15 - 01:51:21 | Speaker 2:

You're a white girl. You cannot marry them. She wants a Catholic. I'm also Catholic. A Catholic Caldean. I know, but a Caldean, right?

01:51:21 - 01:51:22 | Speaker 5:

I married a white boy.

01:51:22 - 01:51:31 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. All right. Thank you. KP is perfect. All right. Take care of yourself. We'll see you. Bye. Bye. I was just trying to make nice with her before I hung up the phone. We cannot lose any listeners.

01:51:32 - 01:51:36 | Speaker 3:

This is the Midwest's number one morning show. And that's kind of sad.

01:51:36 - 01:51:49 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. We got Taylor Swift tickets coming up next hour on the show. Also, War of the Roses on the way in just moments. Shannon's got an update for us right now with the Dirty on the 30.

01:51:49 - 01:51:57 | Speaker 3:

Well, I just want to first acknowledge that today is a very, very special day for Star Wars fans. May the Force be with you.

01:51:57 - 01:51:58 | Speaker 2:

May the force be with you.

01:51:59 - 01:52:01 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to hear it all day. May the force be with you.

01:52:01 - 01:52:12 | Speaker 2:

You're going to see it all over social medias. You know what? What do you like better? It's going to be May, which is the NSYNC day for May 1st, or May the 4th be with you?

01:52:12 - 01:52:20 | Speaker 3:

Well, I've never seen Star Wars, and I love NSYNC, so I'm going NSYNC with that one. That is crazy. Yeah, and I have no interest in seeing Star Wars. I know.

01:52:21 - 01:52:32 | Speaker 2:

I think that, listen, I'm going to say this. Star Wars is one of those The most iconic series that Everybody tells you to see Like The Godfather And neither of those have I seen

01:52:32 - 01:52:36 | Speaker 1:

Same thing for me Never seen The Godfather

01:52:36 - 01:52:38 | Speaker 2:

But I have seen every Back to the Future movie

01:52:38 - 01:52:45 | Speaker 1:

I'd actually say Back to the Future is better than The Godfather And every man is about to start texting and yelling at me And I don't want to hear it

01:52:45 - 01:52:58 | Speaker 2:

I think I've tried to sit through Star Wars movies I think Back to the Future is better than those too And I also think all the Adam Sandler movies Are better than Star Wars movies But my sons hate me because of that. They hate that I don't like Star Wars.

01:52:58 - 01:53:19 | Speaker 3:

Gwyneth Paltrow opening up about her past relationships and about her ex's skills in the bedroom. Remember, she dated Ben Affleck for a couple of years, like in the late 90s. She dated Brad Pitt. Actually, I think she was engaged to Brad Pitt, if I remember correctly. It just didn't work out because she said she wasn't ready to get married. She hadn't figured herself out yet. But this is from the Call Her Daddy podcast.

01:53:19 - 01:53:20 | Speaker 1:

Who was the better kisser?

01:53:22 - 01:53:44 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. Let me think. Like, gosh, I have to remember so far back. They were both good kissers. Okay. Who was better in bed? That is really hard. Because, like, Brad was, like, the sort of major chemistry love of your life kind of, like, at the time, you know? And then, like, Ben was, like, technically excellent.

01:53:47 - 01:53:51 | Speaker 3:

And then they played a little game of F, marry, or kill.

01:53:51 - 01:54:03 | Speaker 1:

marry kill brad pitt ben avleck and chris martin wow well obviously i'd marry chris martin because

01:54:03 - 01:54:11 | Speaker 4:

he gave me my two children who are the loves of my life so i would do that all again wow but kill

01:54:11 - 01:54:19 | Speaker 1:

is so that's such a it's not actually it's like put to the wayside okay i can one more time i think We know your answer. I think Brad.

01:54:19 - 01:54:23 | Speaker 4:

Brad, yeah. And then Ben. God bless Brad.

01:54:24 - 01:54:33 | Speaker 2:

Wouldn't you love to play F, Marry or Kill with Taylor Swift? Would that not be like the great... If we could get the interview with her, Tony's working on our interview right now.

01:54:33 - 01:54:34 | Speaker 3:

There's no way she would play.

01:54:34 - 01:54:35 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. There's no way.

01:54:35 - 01:54:38 | Speaker 3:

People try to play with her all the time, and she'll just walk out. Yeah.

01:54:38 - 01:54:42 | Speaker 2:

That would be, honestly, like the viral of virals that you could possibly get.

01:54:42 - 01:54:45 | Speaker 3:

I'm actually kind of surprised. Gwyneth Paltrow was so open about that.

01:54:45 - 01:54:45 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:54:45 - 01:55:00 | Speaker 3:

Kevin Costner not returning to Yellowstone after five years of starring on that show. This is a big shakeup. He has led the cast as John Dutton since 2018 and he's going to be leaving the series after the current...

01:55:00 - 01:57:17 | Speaker 2:

fifth season which we're only halfway through uh not really a shocking story because we've kind of been thinking and hearing that this was going to happen amid this alleged feud he's got going on with the co-creator of Yellowstone Taylor Sheridan this also this news also comes a day after Kevin's wife of 18 years Christine Baumgartner filed for divorce and her filing on Monday reportedly completely blindsided and devastated Kevin so if you are a Yellowstone fan I'm not really quite sure what's going to happen here. I know the second half of season five has yet to be finished. I don't even know if they've really started production, to be honest with you. And no update has been provided on when the cast and crew are set to return to Montana, which is where they film this thing, to continue on working on the remainder of the season and finish it out. NBC, Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers intend to pay staffers from their own pockets three weeks of wages while being sidelined because of the writer's strike. NBC said that it plans to pay two weeks of salary to staffers while each late night host will pay a third week out of their own bank account. Healthcare for the show's employees will be paid through September. Staffers were informed yesterday morning during production calls that Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers are going be taking part personally in making sure that they and their families are okay as this writer's strike begins. And Lenny Kravitz, working out at the gym, which, okay, you can tell the guy works out, right? Well, it was what he was wearing that has people talking. He was wearing a tracksuit, sunglasses, and biker boots in the gym. Really? At one point, he did switch over to sneakers, But it was like when he was done And getting ready to walk out So for the session he was wearing Which he was like strength training And working out kind of hard But he was wearing biker boots And everybody was trying to take photos with him He declined photos Was very friendly and very nice But then after the workout was done Slipped into workout shoes And workout gear Which was kind of backwards to me But you can see photos and videos And catch up on all of today's Dirty On that Dirty page at MojoInTheMorning.com

01:57:44 - 01:58:14 | Speaker 3:

MojoInTheMorning.com getting a chance to hang out with all of you ladies has made me realize how uncomfortable the furniture is here at the radio studios because i feel like our conversations that we've been having this past week have been like we should be sitting on a couch kind of like all with like throw blankets and big old nice pillows and things like that talking to each

01:58:14 - 01:58:18 | Speaker 2:

other. I feel like a radio show would be so much better if we were just cozy. On a couch?

01:58:19 - 01:58:24 | Speaker 1:

Wouldn't it be nice? I feel like every podcast that I watch, they're on couches with blankets and stuff.

01:58:24 - 01:58:49 | Speaker 3:

It's like the greatest ever when you can be comfortable like that, but that's kind of like what I feel like the conversations have been like too. Being able to talk to our listeners too and throw them in every now and again, which is nice. Phone number is 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. So, Shannon, who is the he and the he's a picky eater?

01:58:50 - 02:00:00 | Speaker 2:

It is a guy that my girlfriend has recently started dating, and I'm not going to call him out by name, but you know who you are. And we did not mean to crash their date, but a bunch of the girls were out and just happened to be at the same place that they were on a date. So we sat down and had a drink with them, and then that drink turned into us really crashing their date and having dinner with them. this guy by the way they loved or hated but they invited they invited us to stay to be fair okay um and so i the the the menus were there and so we're all like talking about what you know what we're gonna order um this guy liked nothing on the menu nothing and we were not in like a you know there are some restaurants out there that the menu is like a little funky and things are strange this is like a bar food okay type of restaurant like stuff that was like burgers and salads and things like that very very normal food yeah and so he was like i don't i don't really see anything on here that i could eat and i'm like there are like 10 000 things on this menu that i would order you know um and so when the time came

02:00:00 - 02:00:42 | Speaker 3:

for us to order he ended up ordering he asked the server if he could have plain chicken and rice that was all that he could find to eat I'm like you are pickier than my kids like my kids eat chicken nuggets grilled cheese pizza and candy that's their palate right now and I felt like this grown man was a pickier eater than my kids and by the way no he was not on a diet before you ask because I know a lot of people ask and no he was not like training for anything you know where you have to watch what you're eating he is just notoriously and he admitted it and no he wasn't a food allergy situation too he admitted he is just a very very picky eater he only likes bland

02:00:42 - 02:01:17 | Speaker 1:

foods can I back can I back this up just a little bit for one second yeah because we're all sitting on the couch together remember yeah we're all we're all couch uh talking this week here on the show like all those girls yes why the hell are you and your friends interrupting a friend's date oh because that to me would be pressure how long has your friend been dating this person not very long that would a couple weeks that would completely give me anxiety as a guy if all of a sudden the girl that i was on a date with her friends randomly show up and by the way which

02:01:17 - 02:01:19 | Speaker 3:

Which we really did. He does not believe it.

02:01:19 - 02:01:23 | Speaker 1:

He probably thinks that she conspired to have you guys show up like this.

02:01:23 - 02:01:26 | Speaker 3:

Which we didn't. And then they, you know, waved us over to the table and we sat down.

02:01:27 - 02:01:31 | Speaker 1:

And secondly, for this guy, not to stick up for this guy because, you know.

02:01:31 - 02:01:32 | Speaker 3:

Well, sounds like it.

02:01:33 - 02:02:10 | Speaker 1:

No, this guy, you can't be picky eater on a date. Like, you truly cannot do it. And this goes for girls, too, when they're going on dates. You can't go on a date. Like, I have seen sometimes where I've got friends of mine that are like the pickiest eaters in the world, and they're like, I would like to have this minus this, substitute this. Right. Can I have this on the side? Can I do this and this and this? You can't do that when you're on a date. When you're on a date, you do that. You look so high maintenance, no matter if you're a guy or a girl. And then if you're as picky of an eater as this guy is, you're like, man, does anything make this guy happy?

02:02:10 - 02:02:26 | Speaker 3:

And I have to say this, too. I really do like this guy a ton. And I said to him after he placed his order I just kept staring I go, I just want to let you know That's what I feed my dog when he's sick Boiled chicken and rice That's true I'm like, that's what you just ordered for dinner

02:02:26 - 02:02:28 | Speaker 1:

If Charlie has an upset tummy

02:02:28 - 02:02:31 | Speaker 3:

I was like, do you like pizza?

02:02:32 - 02:02:32 | Speaker 1:

Yeah

02:02:32 - 02:02:48 | Speaker 3:

And he's like, I like pizza But I don't like anything on it I'm like, okay, that's fine I'm like, just cheese pizza? And he's like, no, like truly like nothing on it I'm like, so bread and sauce Just a very, very picky eater. That's fine. That is an acceptable meal, and I don't want to hear anything different.

02:02:48 - 02:02:50 | Speaker 1:

By the way, I thought that-

02:02:50 - 02:02:54 | Speaker 3:

It's just funny to me that adults can be that picky, right? We expect it from kids.

02:02:55 - 02:03:02 | Speaker 1:

I thought my friends who are vegans were the most annoying people to go out to eat with. It's the guy that's the picky eater guy that's the more annoying person.

02:03:02 - 02:03:04 | Speaker 3:

Why would the vegans annoy you?

02:03:04 - 02:03:24 | Speaker 1:

I have some friends, Chelsea and I do, that they'll go- It's actually one friend, and she will go out, And she is so freaking like crazed about it She asks questions about where it's made What it's made in and all that stuff And I get, okay, food allergies are one thing Totally understand it

02:03:24 - 02:03:24 | Speaker 3:

Oh, for sure

02:03:24 - 02:03:48 | Speaker 1:

But when you're a vegan And in her case specifically She's not doing it because of any reasons of If she eats something that gets touched by it She's going to like all of a sudden get really, really sick She's doing it because she chooses to do that I'm just throwing it out there. And she doesn't like what I wear, too, sometimes. She'll actually complain about the things I wear.

02:03:49 - 02:03:49 | Speaker 2:

I like her.

02:03:49 - 02:03:52 | Speaker 1:

They're not vegan. What's up, Kenny?

02:03:53 - 02:03:53 | Speaker 2:

Hi.

02:03:54 - 02:03:54 | Speaker 1:

Hi.

02:03:55 - 02:03:57 | Speaker 2:

I think bland food is the best food.

02:03:57 - 02:03:59 | Speaker 1:

Kenny, are you the one that was on the date with Shannon's friend?

02:04:00 - 02:04:01 | Speaker 2:

He's not. No, I was not.

02:04:02 - 02:04:04 | Speaker 1:

What do you usually order if you're out?

02:04:07 - 02:04:11 | Speaker 2:

Chicken nuggets and fries, pretty much. I don't really like anything.

02:04:12 - 02:04:23 | Speaker 3:

If you went on a date and ordered chicken nuggets and fries, honestly, I'd be like, I like him. But if that's all you ordered every single time we went out, I would get a little nervous.

02:04:24 - 02:04:33 | Speaker 2:

If I get like burgers, I only put ketchup on it. I hate everything else. My girlfriend, she thinks it's funny. She laughs about it. And same with my dad. He's the same way.

02:04:35 - 02:04:39 | Speaker 3:

By the way, chicken nuggets and fries and burgers on this menu. He doesn't eat those.

02:04:40 - 02:04:40 | Speaker 1:

He wasn't into it.

02:04:40 - 02:04:43 | Speaker 3:

Honest to God, I was just blown away.

02:04:44 - 02:04:46 | Speaker 1:

Christy, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning.

02:04:47 - 02:04:52 | Speaker 2:

Good morning, Mojo. First things first, I found my purse, you guys.

02:04:53 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 3:

Oh, this is Christy from earlier. Wait, you were like one of our first callers of the morning. Yeah, I didn't go to sleep. I was looking.

02:05:00 - 02:05:31 | Speaker 5:

for the freaking personal morning. Where was it? I found it. It was under the passenger seat in my fiance's car. Oh, good. I'm happy you found it. Yes. Yes, I'm happy I found it with 20 minutes to spare. But you guys were talking about being picky eaters, and my Starbucks order is always a little complicated. What is your order? uh iced caramel macchiato upside down extra shot of espresso light caramel jizzle in a venti cup

02:05:31 - 02:05:39 | Speaker 1:

with extra ice oh my gosh okay they they love you i hopefully you app order that you don't have to

02:05:39 - 02:05:47 | Speaker 5:

verbally say that all the time yeah they know my order by now and they know what time i order it And, yeah, it's called Chrissy's Crack Coffee.

02:05:50 - 02:05:51 | Speaker 1:

Elizabeth, what's up?

02:05:52 - 02:06:08 | Speaker 4:

Hi. I was just calling in because literally my family and friends all make fun of me. I'm 26 years old, and I don't like any condiments or toppings like ranch, barbecue sauce, cream cheese, sour cream. Anything like that is a no for me.

02:06:09 - 02:06:11 | Speaker 1:

If you go on a date, do you act that picky?

02:06:11 - 02:06:18 | Speaker 4:

um yeah i'll order stuff and ask for things off of it or usually i just go with chicken tenders

02:06:18 - 02:06:27 | Speaker 1:

and french fries i don't have to embarrass myself but but again like that guy that called us up that did that if you order that on a date you look like a child no i'm good with it i know chicken

02:06:27 - 02:06:34 | Speaker 4:

fingers and fries is fine yeah it just no my fiance says i'm a child i mean not every restaurant that

02:06:34 - 02:06:39 | Speaker 1:

you're going to go to on a date is going to have chicken you know tenders and fries uh jet what's

02:06:39 - 02:06:59 | Speaker 2:

up good morning how's it going good morning we're good what's going on well when i was a kid i'm still i'm a kid i'm 17 but when i was younger i would only eat chicken tenders and fries so when we would go to like other family friends house my parents would have to we'd have to take out like chicken tenders and stuff and bring it and i'm still i still eat like that i don't think

02:06:59 - 02:07:12 | Speaker 1:

there's a problem to just eat bland here's the deal you can do that because you're 17 in about three or four more years when you get like in your 20s you start doing that and girls are going to look at you like you're a child

02:07:12 - 02:07:16 | Speaker 2:

yeah but still it's about food

02:07:16 - 02:07:34 | Speaker 1:

it is very good food don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with it but you order that like when you're going out for your birthday to McDonald's or something that's true that's not like a date night with a girl that you're hoping to get naked with later.

02:07:38 - 02:07:45 | Speaker 2:

I'm a picky eater still, even if I'm at a, not like McDonald's. I don't want a bunch of food with condiments. It's better to be bland.

02:07:46 - 02:07:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. You don't even, wait, you don't even use any of the dipping sauces at McDonald's for their nuggets? No, nothing. Oh my god. Best barbecue sauce in the world.

02:07:56 - 02:07:57 | Speaker 2:

That's what all my friends say.

02:07:57 - 02:07:58 | Speaker 1:

And the sweet and sour is good, too.

02:07:59 - 02:08:04 | Speaker 2:

Honey ever? Hot mustard. Yeah. No, honey. Honey. Honey's good, too.

02:08:04 - 02:08:09 | Speaker 1:

I love honey on chicken nuggets. That's so good. Hi, Rashida.

02:08:10 - 02:08:37 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what's going on? Nothing much. What's going on? Now, see, I use it to my advantage. Well, actually, I didn't even know I was using it to my advantage. I actually met my most recent boyfriend that way. He heard me ordering my food, and I was very specific because I know what I like and don't like. And then at the end, you know, of the restaurant experience, he came over to my table and actually paid for my food and told me that, you know, I love the way you ordered your food. That was sexy.

02:08:37 - 02:08:41 | Speaker 1:

Really? Give us an example. Let's hear your order. I want to hear how sexy it is.

02:08:42 - 02:08:57 | Speaker 3:

No, so, you know, they were asking me at the breakfast restaurant, oh, what would you like? And I said, you know, I would like the truffle chicken hash, but I would like that without the tomatoes, add aioli and arugula.

02:08:58 - 02:09:06 | Speaker 1:

That is kind of sexy. That's amazing. Where was that? I don't know. You turned at me. That doesn't happen at Leo's Coney Island, right?

02:09:06 - 02:09:09 | Speaker 6:

Where were you? It wasn't. I was at first watch.

02:09:09 - 02:09:11 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. That's sexy.

02:09:11 - 02:09:12 | Speaker 6:

I door dashed from them.

02:09:12 - 02:09:13 | Speaker 1:

Seriously.

02:09:14 - 02:09:15 | Speaker 6:

Uh-huh. See?

02:09:15 - 02:09:17 | Speaker 1:

What are you wearing when you're ordering that, too?

02:09:17 - 02:09:21 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:09:22 - 02:09:23 | Speaker 1:

What do you got in this hour's Dirty on the 30 show?

02:09:23 - 02:09:51 | Speaker 6:

God, Taylor Swift is madly, madly in love. And if you're going, wait a second, didn't she just break up with her boyfriend of like six years? Yes, she did. Well, actually, no, she didn't. I'm hearing that she broke up with Joe Owen like end of January, beginning of February. but supposedly the big rumor on the street right now is that she is dating the 1975 frontman maddie healy and you want to know who set them up her buddy and longtime writing partner jack

02:09:51 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 1:

so this is a 1975 song what is this this is somebody else love this song so much

02:10:00 - 02:10:07 | Speaker 4:

I've never heard these guys before. What do you call this music? What is this kind of music?

02:10:07 - 02:10:08 | Speaker 3:

Alt pop.

02:10:08 - 02:10:09 | Speaker 4:

It is? Okay.

02:10:11 - 02:10:39 | Speaker 3:

So they have a history. They dated very briefly almost 10 years ago. Timing was just not right, so it didn't work out. But they are real hot and heavy from what I'm hearing. They've performed together. She's met his mom and hung out with his family. And supposedly they are ready to go public with their romance this weekend. at Taylor's Eras Tour show in Nashville. So we'll see what happens there. And I know, Megan, you said earlier you do not like this couple at all.

02:10:39 - 02:11:03 | Speaker 2:

No, and I love the 1975, and I love Matt Haley. Well, I shouldn't say that. I appreciate Matt Haley. I think that he has some issues that he still needs to work through. This is coming from a very much outsider perspective. I'm very aware that I don't know this man. But from what we've seen on stage, it seems like he might still be battling some demons. and if he is, I don't think that's the proper space to be in when you're entering a relationship.

02:11:03 - 02:11:10 | Speaker 3:

And by demons, you mean addiction? Allegedly. Right. Yeah. Which I did not know that about him.

02:11:10 - 02:11:11 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah.

02:11:11 - 02:11:52 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Big problem. Nick Cannon going to be taking over hosting Beat Shazam for Jamie Foxx while he remains hospitalized in Atlanta. Kelly Osbourne going to be taking over as the show's DJ, which actually was a position that was held by Jamie's daughter, Corinne, but she's at her dad's bedside, so she can't do the show either. Yesterday, the big news, Jamie breaking his silence on Instagram, writing, appreciate all the love, feeling blessed. There was no photo to accompany that. He just posted a static photo or static post with those words. He also gave a shout-out in his Instagram stories to Nick Cannon and told people he will see us all soon. His good friend, Kevin Hart, giving fans an update as well.

02:11:53 - 02:12:09 | Speaker 1:

The dope thing is that he's getting better in this situation, and everybody's prayers, everybody's love, energy, all that stuff is seen and felt. You know, you just want the guy to get out of the situations and then get back home. To my knowledge is there is a lot of progression in the world of better men.

02:12:10 - 02:12:31 | Speaker 3:

Jury deliberations have begun in the Ed Sheeran lawsuit that we've been talking about a ton lately. Again, Ed is accused of copying Marvin Gaye's Let's Get It On when writing his own song, This One, Thinking Out Loud. I know the jury deliberated for a really short time yesterday before calling it a day so deliberations will continue today. I wonder

02:12:31 - 02:12:55 | Speaker 4:

what a short deliberation or a long deliberation means. Did the jury believe Ed? Did the playing music from the witness stand like he did with his guitar? Did that help him? I don't want this guy to not do music anymore but he said that he'll quit music. Boy, that's a threat, isn't it? If you're a fan of his.

02:12:55 - 02:13:51 | Speaker 3:

But the Detroit Pistons have fired assistant general manager Rob Murphy. News of that firing coming seven months after the Pistons placed Murphy on leave following an investigation into an allegation that he engaged in workplace misconduct with a former female employee. And the Pistons pretty tight lipped about this. They said because this is a personal matter, personnel matter, excuse me, no further details will be forthcoming at this time. And a song causing a huge, huge problem if you have a Google Pixel phone. There's a feature on that phone. I don't have one, so I didn't know this, but it turns off your alarms if you say stop. Well, that's a problem for those with a song by The Pixies called Where Is My Mind as their alarm. I've never heard of this group nor song, full disclosure. The Pixies? I haven't. What? No, I haven't.

02:13:51 - 02:13:55 | Speaker 4:

I haven't heard of the Pixies, nor have I heard of 1975.

02:13:55 - 02:14:05 | Speaker 3:

I've heard of the 1975. I love the 1975. But because this particular song, and I'm going to play it for you in just a second, starts with a voice saying stop, it turns off your alarm as soon as it begins.

02:14:07 - 02:14:08 | Speaker 4:

Stop.

02:14:11 - 02:14:15 | Speaker 2:

Isn't that funny? You guys haven't heard of the song? No. I don't think I have.

02:14:16 - 02:14:17 | Speaker 3:

No.

02:14:17 - 02:14:18 | Speaker 4:

Oh. I've not heard of it.

02:14:18 - 02:14:20 | Speaker 2:

This is like a famous, famous song.

02:14:20 - 02:14:55 | Speaker 3:

It's a bunch of movies. But people are saying, maybe I would like recognize it if I was watching a movie. I don't know. But people are saying that they had this song, right? Like set is their alarm. Or I guess on these phones, you can have like a random song from your phone's library play each morning to wake you. And so if this song just happened to be the song, people were missing their alarms and oversleeping and like getting in trouble at work and stuff. The band, the Pixies actually tweeted an article about this and they just wrote, oops, sorry about that that's wild yeah for all of today's dirty check out the dirty page on mojointhemorning.com

02:15:00 - 02:15:11 | Speaker 1:

Morning's Dirty on the 30. Naughty Moms Night Out. Jada.

02:15:12 - 02:15:13 | Speaker 2:

You never believe this. Guess who Megan says is gaslighting her? You know, we talk about gaslighting all the time with second date updates and our War of the Roses and horribly, you know, being treated by whoever the person is you're in a relationship with. I never heard of this, though.

02:16:21 - 02:18:31 | Speaker 2:

I think a therapist is trying to gaslight me, and I'm not okay with this. I think I'm slowly starting to lose my mind. Do you go to therapy? So, used to. It's been a while. Going through it recently. Finally decided to bite the bullet. Good for you. Make an appointment with a therapist and start going back and focusing on myself in a good way, not in a bad way, because let's be honest, I'm very self-centered, but like in the worst ways possible. So let's fix that. But I decided to make an appointment with this really interesting therapy group. I don't want to call it like a private practice because there's a ton of doctors there. So it's not just like one or two people. There's a bunch of people. And I was like, this is great because they do the whole like shop around method. If you sit down and you're not like vibing with your person, they've got like a million more for you to try out. And I was like, you know what? I like that. That seems pretty convenient. So I went online and I was signing up to try to make my first patient appointment. and you fill out a whole bunch of paperwork, like who your provider is, what you're looking for, yada, yada, yada, and in it, it asks for your phone number and your email address, and then it asks which way you would prefer to be contacted, so I fill it all out, and I said, I'd really like to be called because I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing, and I feel better instead of just, you know, sending 10 emails back and forth. Give me a call. Let's talk about it. I'm excited to hear your response. I don't get a call for 48 hours, and I'm checking my email, and I'm not getting anything either, and I'm like, well, that's kind of interesting. They said they had availability, and I checked it a couple of hours later. I got my email, and there was. It was an email from the office, and they said, hey, yeah, we were going through this. Probably going to need you guys to give us a call so we can try to talk through it. Ma'am, I said in both sign-up sheets that I wanted to be called. you emailed me and then had the audacity to tell me that i needed to call you are we dating already what is happening i'm getting gaslit by the guy that's not even my therapist yet

02:18:31 - 02:19:49 | Speaker 1:

so i have to tell you that it is a i was talking to jacob about this my son my middle son jacob it just got his um his master or his uh yeah his master's and now he's working on his doctorate in psychology and so he's going to be a psychologist um which he can't see me i've asked him already i was like can i get the friends family just like i can't do that but he was we were talking about it he said it's a six month minimum waiting period on a lot of times getting into a therapist or a psychiatrist because there's so much mental health issues that are going on out there nowadays and it's crazy i shouldn't use the word crazy because that's It's wild. It's wild how, like, I feel bad for the therapist, too. Like, they can't keep up, and they're having a hard time keeping up. And I think a lot of these people, a lot of people who are therapists or psychiatrists and stuff, maybe aren't the most business savvy of people. Yeah. So a lot of times they don't know what to do. But it's tough, though, because here you are. You have finally gotten the courage that you say to yourself, I got to go get therapy, right? Because it takes a long time. Honestly, I say going to therapy is like for me going on a diet. I always sit there and I talk about it, talk about it, talk about it. And then finally one day, something hits me. And I go. And if you can't get into somebody, it stinks.

02:19:49 - 02:20:00 | Speaker 2:

Well, and that's what I was going to say. I mean, when I got, you know, when I started going to therapy, this was like 2016. The day I decided I needed to go to therapy, I was like.

02:20:00 - 02:20:12 | Speaker 4:

I need to go today like you're a lot of times it's like you there is something there is some sort of crisis happening in your life or inside of your you know your head that you you can't wait

02:20:12 - 02:21:20 | Speaker 3:

yeah a month for to be fair when you're filling out their information online it was like are you needing to talk to somebody more immediately or is this something that like it's not necessarily an emergency to come in and i did mark that it wasn't an emergency to come in so they they did have a it seems like a different process if you needed help right now you'll probably be put near the front of the line versus people who are like i can wait a little bit it's fine i just need to make the appointment eventually which i did really appreciate when i was reading through it but what i found interesting was if you follow me on social media a couple of days ago i posted up on facebook looking for a new gynecologist yeah i saw that and i because i just love asking people for the doctors and it was so interesting that nearly every recommendation took our health insurance but when i was looking for a therapist that was not the case it was way more difficult to mine doesn't it's fine yeah i was surprised and how few of them each one takes so it listed who took what insurance and all of them only took like one or two i i have an idea for a business

02:21:20 - 02:22:17 | Speaker 1:

opportunity yeah tell me I'm thinking of doing this maybe I might I might this might become so big if there really is this you know much mental health issues going on right now I'm thinking about doing drive-through therapy where you talk to me through the drive-through and then at the end of the whole thing we give you an order of whatever the food is I don't say on because I I think to myself all the time about when I go to my therapist, there's some times where I like to go face-to-face with Dennis, but I don't because I'm so crazy busy here at the station lately that I'll sometimes be calling him on the road to go see him. So I'll say, let's just do it on the phone. So we'll do it on the phone. I kind of like it a little bit because I like the idea of just having a conversation and talking, and then I can run errands while I'm doing the whole thing too.

02:22:17 - 02:22:35 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Well, we advertise for that better help, which actually I know a lot of people who use it. And it's basically like you do it all online and you it's like it's like a Tinder for therapists. Like, truly, you go on there and you see profiles and you choose the therapist that you feel like you could best match with.

02:22:35 - 02:22:36 | Speaker 1:

Do you visually see them then?

02:22:37 - 02:22:42 | Speaker 4:

Yes. And if you don't like him or her after, you know, the first visit or first couple of visits, you go back in and you go.

02:22:43 - 02:22:44 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. It's like, well, it's like the office.

02:22:44 - 02:22:49 | Speaker 4:

And you can see their immediacy, you know, or you could see their availability, excuse me.

02:22:50 - 02:22:53 | Speaker 1:

It's really cool. Do they buy you a drink? I don't believe they do.

02:22:54 - 02:22:58 | Speaker 4:

I've never used it personally, so I can't attest to that, but I'm thinking.

02:22:58 - 02:23:34 | Speaker 1:

Honestly, Megan brings up a really interesting point about this place because I only have gone to therapists that somebody has recommended to me. And we talked about this on the More Mojo podcast a couple of days ago, which you should go listen to it because it was very deep what we got into. We did a little couples therapy type thing with all of us as a show. But if you don't like the therapist that you go to, it sucks because you start off telling them your life story for like the first four sessions. And then all of a sudden for a session, you're like, like, I want to know right away. Kind of like a date, right? You want to know if the person's worthwhile.

02:23:34 - 02:23:36 | Speaker 4:

Well, you want to get past all the small talk.

02:23:36 - 02:23:37 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:23:37 - 02:23:40 | Speaker 4:

And get to like the meat of, you know, the date or the issue.

02:23:40 - 02:24:02 | Speaker 1:

I've gone to therapists before. And I talked about this in the podcast. I've gone to therapists before. They've given me the worst advice ever. Like literally, literally told me to get divorced, like right off the bat. Go get divorced. You should get divorced. I'm like, thank you. And then asked me if I wanted to talk to their friend who is a divorce attorney. I'm like, wait a second. There's a scam going on here. Kayla, what's up?

02:24:03 - 02:24:26 | Speaker 2:

Hi. I texted in that you can actually go to a website that's psychologytoday.com. and you can literally go in the filters and you can put in like like it has all the insurances you can just click on your insurance you can click like if you prefer a man or a woman I mean it literally filters out all of the um psychologists in your area yeah Kayla it's so weird that you

02:24:26 - 02:24:32 | Speaker 4:

just called as you said psychology today my cousin Ellen just texted me and said yay psychology

02:24:32 - 02:24:43 | Speaker 2:

today is a great resource yeah it must be a good one I mean that way yeah you don't have to you know call and ask oh do you accept my insurance yeah you know what you know what though sucks

02:24:43 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 1:

about this like in Megan's case with this uh you know whoever psychologist therapist whatever it is is that in life rejection is the hardest thing that we deal with right it's such a hard thing to deal with getting in relationships nobody wants to be rejected by their therapist you know

02:25:00 - 02:25:09 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, oh yeah. Can you imagine, I wonder if this ever happens. Can you imagine if your therapist tells you that they're breaking up with you because they don't want to go out with you anymore or don't want to deal with you anymore?

02:25:09 - 02:25:11 | Speaker 2:

I'm sure that that has happened. I bet it does.

02:25:12 - 02:25:14 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's like painful.

02:25:14 - 02:25:16 | Speaker 2:

Like I'm sure that that relationship can get real toxic.

02:25:17 - 02:25:18 | Speaker 4:

I need therapy for my therapy.

02:25:18 - 02:25:19 | Speaker 2:

It's not good, yeah.

02:25:20 - 02:25:27 | Speaker 4:

Megan, I don't know why you just don't answer or call me and let me just give you advice. I've always given you good advice.

02:25:27 - 02:25:32 | Speaker 3:

Who's to say I'm not going there to talk about you? Oh, things just got a little serious.

02:25:33 - 02:25:40 | Speaker 2:

I never talk about any of you guys in there. You are full of it. You're so full of it. I am so full of it. Did you hear the sarcasm in my voice? Okay.

02:25:41 - 02:25:46 | Speaker 4:

Swear to God that you've never brought any of us up. Oh, no. I absolutely have brought all of you up.

02:25:47 - 02:25:51 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's terrifying. That's even scarier. Not media. Not KP.

02:25:52 - 02:25:52 | Speaker 4:

No.

02:25:52 - 02:25:59 | Speaker 3:

But that was an interesting thing that filtering by men and women. Do you guys have same-sex therapists or opposite gender?

02:25:59 - 02:26:08 | Speaker 4:

I've always wanted to have a sexy therapist Like Tony Soprano had And the Sopranos But I always have guys like dudes You know

02:26:08 - 02:26:09 | Speaker 2:

Poor Dennis

02:26:09 - 02:26:15 | Speaker 4:

Guys that wear tweed jackets Always look smarter to me Than people that don't wear tweed jackets

02:26:15 - 02:26:24 | Speaker 3:

I feel like I need a woman to relate to my problems But I also want a man that won't I don't know To give a different perspective I was having a really hard time with this

02:26:24 - 02:26:29 | Speaker 4:

What if you walked into your therapy office And Harry Styles was what the guy looked like

02:26:29 - 02:26:45 | Speaker 2:

like i would go it's a pleasure to meet you this isn't gonna work out make whatever you do make sure your therapist doesn't have stomach problems because i had one and his stomach would gurgle from the time i sat down till the time i got up and that's all i could focus on was counting the

02:26:45 - 02:26:48 | Speaker 4:

gurgles in my head i got was he hungry or something maybe it was around lunchtime that

02:26:48 - 02:26:58 | Speaker 3:

you were scheduling he had something going on but i could not focus what do you wear do you wear something comfortable or do you look professional honestly my best therapy sessions are usually when

02:26:58 - 02:27:19 | Speaker 4:

i'm wearing like uh i don't know like a sweatshirt or something like that like really low key i've often said this too about therapy offices megan they sit in the more comfortable chair than they give you because they're sitting all the whole time and it pisses me off like i've often wanted to ask my therapist if i could have his chair because it looks more comfortable than the one

02:27:19 - 02:27:30 | Speaker 2:

that i get see it's the opposite in at karen oh really karen your therapist gives you the better chair it's a it's a love seat she gives you a love seat very cozy yes i fall you should call

02:27:30 - 02:27:59 | Speaker 4:

chelsea hold on a second we gotta call chelsea real quick i don't know if she's uh if she's up uh she's got to be up by now she's not up by now then they're call the call of the ems chelsea used to love going to therapy with me when we would go to marriage therapy because chelsea chelsea will you tell megan and shannon what i would do when we were in couples therapy sleep no no yes

02:27:59 - 02:28:10 | Speaker 1:

yeah i would go in yeah would you like to say what you would do no go ahead you tell he would go in and tell our counselor everything that was wrong with me

02:28:10 - 02:28:23 | Speaker 2:

and then take a nap no he just okay did you just leave him sleeping so then you could tell the therapist everything that was wrong with him or would you try to wake him up um well we drove

02:28:23 - 02:28:48 | Speaker 1:

together so we would but at the very end like so he would it was a couple months but then I ended up working on stuff for you know about myself and did my own little therapy and then um I remember the last one of the last times we went because we've been several times one of the last times we went um he said okay so when are we going next week I said well we're not going next week because I'm good. You can go.

02:28:48 - 02:28:57 | Speaker 4:

She got her therapy. Well, honestly, I honestly, I didn't really want to go to go back to therapy. He had such a comfortable couch.

02:28:57 - 02:29:02 | Speaker 1:

It was a very comfortable couch and it was very warm and it was kind of in a basement. So I get it.

02:29:02 - 02:29:09 | Speaker 4:

It was, it was, it was honestly, it was too nice. Like I almost wanted to put my pajamas on when I would go to the therapy.

02:29:10 - 02:29:11 | Speaker 1:

It was very nice.

02:29:11 - 02:29:15 | Speaker 4:

All right. But look at us. We got through it, right? You got, you got all the help you needed.

02:29:16 - 02:29:21 | Speaker 3:

Look at us. Chelsea, when I go, what's the first thing I should bring up about Mojo to the therapist? Oh, yeah.

02:29:21 - 02:29:26 | Speaker 4:

Hold on. Megan can't hear you because you're on my phone. What should Megan bring up about me during therapy?

02:29:29 - 02:29:30 | Speaker 1:

I'll text her.

02:29:33 - 02:29:45 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's throwback throwdown is tomorrow morning at 8 on Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning. Are you the type of person that when you go into a store, you got to, like, try things out?

02:29:45 - 02:29:53 | Speaker 2:

Like, you got to, like, test drive it, so to speak? Kind of depends on my mood. Are you talking about trying on clothes or just anything in general?

02:29:53 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 4:

I'm talking about, like, what are some of the craziest things that people have ever just tried they're not supposed to?

02:30:00 - 02:30:01 | Speaker 1:

Lydia, what happened with you?

02:30:01 - 02:30:27 | Speaker 2:

I was shopping at H&M, and I was just walking around the store, and I walked by a mirror and noticed my eyebrows needed a bit of plucking. So I had my hands full of clothes, but I didn't hesitate to walk over their accessory rack and open up a pack of tweezers, to which I then walked back to the mirror and proceeded to tweeze my eyebrows. They're plucking away. Girl, I get that.

02:30:27 - 02:30:32 | Speaker 5:

Once you notice it, you can't unnotice it. and that has to be taken care of right away.

02:30:32 - 02:30:38 | Speaker 2:

I know. I just couldn't help it. So I plucked my tweezers in the store and then I bought the tweezers right after.

02:30:38 - 02:30:44 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that was good that you bought them. What if you didn't like them though? What if they're not the right tweezers? Would you just put them back on the shelf?

02:30:45 - 02:30:47 | Speaker 2:

Maybe. I mean, I got my use out of them.

02:30:48 - 02:31:50 | Speaker 1:

I've often wanted to do that with like nose hair trimmers. Like I've had it where my nose hairs, I don't notice my nose hairs unless I'm driving in my car and I see it in my rear view mirror. And then I look, I'm like, oh, my God, they look horrible. They're so, you know, long. They're sticking out and stuff. And I've wanted to just go into a Walgreens or, you know, CVS or one of those drugstores, go down the aisle, see if they got the nose hair trimmer in there, put the double or the triple A batteries in it, you know, and start doing it right there inside the place. I have bought more nose hair trimmers On a whim of realizing I had somewhere I was going to go And I had a fur like hanging out of my nose 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 Do you think there's any stores That are listening to the show right now That can call us up and tell us about people trying things out This happens at stores all the time Like we've talked about this at You know, Meijer and Kroger and things Where people just all of a sudden Just randomly start taking things from But you always pay for it in the end

02:31:50 - 02:31:58 | Speaker 5:

I mean haven't you ever been grocery shopping And sometimes you are so hungry That you open something And just snack a little bit But then you pay for it when you're checking out

02:31:58 - 02:32:13 | Speaker 1:

It's okay to do that if it's an item That doesn't need to be weighed to be paid Right But if you're somebody that's all of a sudden They have to put it on their scale Like if it's grapes You can't just all of a sudden start taking grapes Out of the thing

02:32:13 - 02:32:20 | Speaker 5:

Wasn't it you who ate the apple? Am I thinking of somebody else? You like ate an apple.

02:32:20 - 02:32:23 | Speaker 1:

But it had a tag on it, and I didn't know they had to weigh it.

02:32:23 - 02:32:24 | Speaker 5:

But you can't do that.

02:32:24 - 02:32:31 | Speaker 1:

I didn't know they did. I thought the tag just said how much it would cost, and I didn't realize that they had to weigh it. Yeah, that was bad.

02:32:31 - 02:32:35 | Speaker 5:

And you eating an apple in general is just offensive.

02:32:35 - 02:32:50 | Speaker 1:

I feel like it's theft if you go to a store and you find a shirt that you really like, and you're like, I can't wait to wear it. I'm going to wear it right now. And I go out, and they say, okay, hey, what would you like to buy? And I'm like, oh, I'm wearing it right now. Here it is. Here's the tag. Hand him the tag in my old shirt.

02:32:51 - 02:32:52 | Speaker 5:

I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

02:32:53 - 02:32:53 | Speaker 1:

It's okay to do?

02:32:54 - 02:32:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:32:54 - 02:32:56 | Speaker 1:

Erin, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning.

02:32:57 - 02:33:14 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Okay, I see people do this all the time at TJ Maxx and Marshalls. I watched some girl the other day literally pick up one of the makeup palettes, stick her fingers in it, do her makeup, and put it back. So it happens so often with so many different things.

02:33:14 - 02:33:20 | Speaker 1:

Wait, so she put her makeup on, and then it was all the sample-sized ones, right?

02:33:21 - 02:33:35 | Speaker 3:

No, because at Marshalls, you can buy, like, full-size, like, palettes and stuff. Oh, yeah. And I was standing right there. I was watching her. I don't work there. Like, I was a customer, and I watched her look in the little mirror in the makeup palette, put on the eyeshadow, and then just put it back. Yeah.

02:33:35 - 02:33:38 | Speaker 5:

That's wild. What Marshalls and TJ Maxx do you go to?

02:33:39 - 02:33:44 | Speaker 3:

I go to the Marshalls on Hall Road. It's like a Marshalls. Oh, it's a good one.

02:33:45 - 02:33:49 | Speaker 1:

But be careful. Makeup might be used. What's up, Art?

02:33:50 - 02:33:51 | Speaker 4:

Hey, what's up, what's up?

02:33:51 - 02:33:55 | Speaker 1:

What's up, what's up, Art? Are you working right now in a store?

02:33:56 - 02:33:58 | Speaker 4:

I am actually on a ride right now.

02:33:59 - 02:34:00 | Speaker 1:

Yeah? And where do you work?

02:34:01 - 02:34:03 | Speaker 4:

Get in the zone, AutoZone.

02:34:03 - 02:34:04 | Speaker 1:

I love it.

02:34:05 - 02:34:15 | Speaker 4:

Do people do this at AutoZone? Yes, they do it with parts. They do it with everything. You know, they might say, hey, you know that thing under the thing over by the thing? You know, I need that thing.

02:34:16 - 02:34:19 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. And then they just start using it, huh?

02:34:20 - 02:34:37 | Speaker 4:

They start using it. They give it back. I go back, get another one, do this, do that. It's crazy. It's insane. It's nuts. But I dig the whole tweezer thing, you know. When I'm in the store, I want to try on some underwear. I feel like it's like a guilt trip because, like, that's got underwear. They're different.

02:34:37 - 02:34:41 | Speaker 1:

You can't do underwear. They don't ever let you try underwear or bathing suits on?

02:34:42 - 02:34:46 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's crazy. They should have, like, some type of disposable drawers you can put on.

02:34:46 - 02:34:51 | Speaker 1:

Guys' bathing suits you shouldn't be trying on. Girls' bathing suits? You have to put, like, something in there.

02:34:51 - 02:34:52 | Speaker 5:

They have the sticker in there.

02:34:52 - 02:34:57 | Speaker 1:

Like a panty sticker or something like that? Or for you to cover up the coo?

02:34:58 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 5:

Wait, wait, wait.

02:35:00 - 02:35:08 | Speaker 4:

I know. I should have just... Cover up the cuckoo. You know? What? I really need you to pull that audio and just cover up the cuckoo.

02:35:08 - 02:35:09 | Speaker 5:

What's going on, Suzanne?

02:35:11 - 02:35:12 | Speaker 4:

Hi. First on call, long-time listener.

02:35:13 - 02:35:15 | Speaker 5:

Yay. Hold on. Let me hit the button. Boom, boom, boom, boom.

02:35:17 - 02:35:31 | Speaker 4:

So it was that time of the month, and it wasn't expected. And I was wearing, like, light color pants. And I went to, like, PJ Maxx. I picked up one of the jeans. I went to the fitting room, put it on, took the tag out, went to pay for it. And I was like, I'm sorry, it's the time I'm on, it's unexpected.

02:35:32 - 02:35:34 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's an emergency. No, you're fine. You're good.

02:35:35 - 02:35:42 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Okay. Yeah, they're nice to you for doing that. Yeah. You got to do what you got to do. Thank you for calling. Will you call us more often?

02:35:43 - 02:35:46 | Speaker 4:

Sure. I will, for sure, if I can get through.

02:35:46 - 02:35:50 | Speaker 5:

Seriously, you're a friendly voice. We need to hear you more often. What's up? Hannah.

02:35:52 - 02:35:56 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Mojo. I've called a few times. I just wanted to say, my name's Hannah. Hannah.

02:35:57 - 02:36:01 | Speaker 5:

Hannah. I am such an idiot.

02:36:02 - 02:36:03 | Unknown:

Oh, my God, you idiot.

02:36:04 - 02:36:15 | Speaker 5:

I apologize. I do that to you all the time, and it doesn't even say it. It's actually spelled H-A-N-A, and I know you have called before, and I've screwed your name up every time. And Hannah is H-A-N-N-A-H, right?

02:36:17 - 02:36:17 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

02:36:17 - 02:36:19 | Speaker 5:

I'm sorry. You idiot. I apologize.

02:36:20 - 02:36:20 | Speaker 3:

You're all good.

02:36:21 - 02:36:21 | Speaker 5:

All right.

02:36:21 - 02:36:35 | Speaker 3:

I just had a story. My fiance and his dad, they would go grocery shopping ever since he was a little boy. And the first thing that they would do was go and grab the donuts, you know, out of the little bakery section. And they would eat them while they were going grocery shopping. They would just never pay for that.

02:36:36 - 02:36:37 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no. Oh.

02:36:38 - 02:36:40 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. And they did that for, like, 12 years.

02:36:41 - 02:36:46 | Speaker 5:

Oh, geez. Uh-oh. So the little ones, like the little mini ones in the wrapper where there's, I don't know.

02:36:46 - 02:36:49 | Speaker 1:

Oh, at Meijer, they had the purple cow. And you could go.

02:36:49 - 02:36:55 | Speaker 3:

No, they would take, like, the apple fritters. Those are his favorite. Oh, yeah. They're the big. The big guys.

02:36:55 - 02:38:46 | Speaker 5:

Wow. Yeah. It's funny. I see people sometimes eating subs walking around the store, and I think they pay for them because I think you can buy them right there. That's a weird thing to be eating. Like I saw a guy who had his Kroger cart, and he had it where the little babies are usually sitting, and he had a sub just like pouring out there, and then another guy had a thing of Kroger fried chicken, and he's just sitting there eating chicken walking through the store, and I'm like, man, you are living your best life at that moment right there. All right, Mojo on the Morning Show. Okay, so this story is something that is becoming like an epidemic because of the epidemic. Because of COVID, they are saying that eighth graders' scores have hit an all-time low on a national assessment test. There are too many students that are failing to learn the basics, including, they say, some of the worst things for them, American history and how our government operates. They say that the average score among eighth graders on a national assessment educational process dropped five points between 2018 and 2022 to the lowest score ever. And according to the findings, only 14 percent of eighth graders were proficient in U.S. history and 22 are proficient in civics. So they're saying that because we were doing all the virtual learning that is cause for a problem. and they actually said that the scores in math and reading are even worse and they're now, the White House actually is supposedly going to come out today I think and talk about this because they don't know what's going to go on. Are they going to give them an opportunity to try to see if they can catch up or is learning going to have to change? We talked about this during COVID and we said why don't they just hold everybody back a year and everybody thought that was ridiculous but everybody was kind of in such a weird period

02:38:46 - 02:38:48 | Speaker 4:

at that time. Yeah, that's really interesting.

02:38:48 - 02:38:53 | Speaker 5:

I will tell you this I don't know much about any of that stuff anyway. Like we talked yesterday.

02:38:53 - 02:38:57 | Speaker 1:

Those were my two hardest subjects. Like civic, social studies, history, just never good at this.

02:38:57 - 02:39:26 | Speaker 5:

Yesterday, there was another mass shooting. This took place in Atlanta. A person went into a hospital in Midtown Atlanta and ended up shooting in the hospital women. One was killed. Four were injured. Three of them critically. Here's a report here right now, and in the report, you'll find out what this suspect's mom believes is the reason why.

02:39:27 - 02:39:36 | Speaker 2:

The manhunt for a suspected Atlanta gunman came to a dramatic end eight hours after he allegedly opened fire inside a doctor's office.

02:39:36 - 02:39:40 | Speaker 1:

He will be charged and stand trial for his crimes.

02:39:40 - 02:39:53 | Speaker 2:

A major police presence descended on Midtown Atlanta yesterday as people evacuated the area, including Dr. Timothy Simon, who was in surgery one floor above where the shots were fired.

02:39:54 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 1:

I heard some policemen outside saying, you know, come out with your hands up or hold your hands up.

02:40:00 - 02:40:05 | Speaker 2:

made sure that I was not a shooter and then they brought me out and then they um escorted us all

02:40:05 - 02:40:10 | Speaker 1:

down. In that while they thought that the actual surgeon was possibly the shooter and they didn't

02:40:10 - 02:40:22 | Speaker 2:

know what was going on. Police say 24 year old Deion Patterson shot five women inside the waiting room of a medical practice killing a 39 year old. Four others were hospitalized some in critical

02:40:22 - 02:40:27 | Speaker 4:

condition. They're now advising the active shooter a person shot. The search efforts expanded after

02:40:27 - 02:41:05 | Speaker 2:

Patterson allegedly carjacked a driver. Police later arrested him inside a gated condo complex in Cobb County, about 18 miles away. A neighbor tells our Atlanta station WSB she had a hunch and suggested to police they search the pool house at her complex, where they later found Patterson. Police declined to discuss a possible motive, but Patterson's mother said her son was upset over a medication mix-up, saying he wanted the drug Ativan to deal with anxiety and depression, but she says the VA would not give it to him. Patterson had served time in the Coast Guard until his discharge in January.

02:41:06 - 02:41:27 | Speaker 1:

Man, sad. A woman is now being accused of hiding that suspected gunman in Texas. Remember the guy that we reported yesterday got caught? They're saying that his wife was hiding him and not telling all of the sheriffs and the cops and stuff exactly where he was and they have proof of that

02:41:27 - 02:41:32 | Speaker 3:

through cell phone. I think there were several people that have been accused of aiding in hiding

02:41:32 - 02:42:10 | Speaker 1:

his whereabouts. He ended up being on the run for a number of days like what five or six days or something like that. Going out to eat you should always ask for a physical menu because scammers are now taking advantage of those QR codes at restaurants, retail shops, and even those parking meters to steal people's smartphone info, their data that's on there. People are putting over the top of the thing, over the QR codes, a fake QR code, which is actually malware that will download on your device and then steal your location and personal information on there.

02:42:10 - 02:42:11 | Speaker 3:

I never even thought that somebody could do that.

02:42:12 - 02:42:18 | Speaker 1:

It's time, by the way. It's time now to get back to regular menus. I hate looking at stuff on my phone. I don't know.

02:42:18 - 02:42:25 | Speaker 3:

I agree. And also the plastic partitions. Yeah, it's time to come down. I think the problem is it will cost people.

02:42:25 - 02:42:30 | Speaker 1:

A lot of people did it themselves, and it will cost them a lot of money to kind of pull them out.

02:42:30 - 02:42:37 | Speaker 4:

You know why I like the digital menus? Yeah. There's usually photos for every menu item, and I appreciate that. I want to see what I'm getting.

02:42:38 - 02:42:46 | Speaker 1:

That's true. It actually does get more in-depth on there. Could you see yourself eating this? Would you ever eat lab-grown fish?

02:42:47 - 02:42:47 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:42:47 - 02:43:04 | Speaker 1:

Really? Yeah. A company has created the first fish filet that is completely lab-grown, cultivated in a lab and not an actual fish. I know that we eat a lot of times lab-grown meat or the Beyond meats and stuff like that.

02:43:05 - 02:43:10 | Speaker 4:

Y'all eat genetically modified food literally all the time. I know. This is not any different.

02:43:10 - 02:43:14 | Speaker 3:

The fish one kind of weirds me out, but you're right. It shouldn't. It's no different.

02:43:14 - 02:43:18 | Speaker 1:

And who's to say, honestly, that the fish you get at a fast food restaurant is actually a real fish anyway, right?

02:43:18 - 02:43:30 | Speaker 3:

Well, even isn't it farm-raised fish is not supposed to be good for you? Did you hear the story about- They all just poop all over each other. I don't know. Somebody told me that. I'm like, is that even true? You aren't wild caught. Yeah. That's what I thought. Okay.

02:43:30 - 02:43:38 | Speaker 1:

Did you hear the story about the parent that was out with their kids and their kid got chicken fingers? Kid bit into a chicken finger and it turned out to be- Do I want to know this story? It turned out to be-

02:43:38 - 02:43:39 | Speaker 4:

No, no, no. Don't tell us.

02:43:39 - 02:43:44 | Speaker 1:

It turned out to be fish. It was actually fish. And the parent was upset because the kid could have had a fish allergy.

02:43:44 - 02:43:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay, that's true. I was going to say, I actually would kind of love that for my kids to just trick them into trying it. Because they won't even try it. Have you ever given them fish sticks? If I even say fish, they're like, nope, don't like it.

02:43:55 - 02:44:00 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but like I never wanted fish as a kid until I was given fish sticks. I know. I loved it.

02:44:00 - 02:44:15 | Speaker 1:

What was the company that made the fish sticks with the guy with the sailor outfit? That's the Gordon's Fisherman. That's it, Gordon. The fish. The Gordon's Fisherman. And the final story, speaking of hanging out with the fishies, a tourist following their

02:44:15 - 02:44:18 | Speaker 3:

You made fun of me for saying chicky nuggies, and you just said fishies.

02:44:18 - 02:44:52 | Speaker 1:

A tourist following their GPS directions drives right into the harbor. A sailboat crew in Hawaii had to rescue two tourists who drove their rental car into Hanakuku harbor. The two people, no, they're old people. There are two people were in a van, and they were trying to find their direction. They actually drove right into it. No one was hurt in the accident. They said that they followed the GPS directions when they took a wrong turn right into the water.

02:44:52 - 02:44:56 | Speaker 4:

I'll say it before. I'll say it again. Old people need driver's license tests.

02:44:57 - 02:44:57 | Speaker 1:

Absolutely.

02:44:57 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 4:

And. Yeah. And.

02:45:00 - 02:45:11 | Speaker 5:

I need to stop using my Waze or Google Maps because I cannot figure out how to get anywhere anymore unless I do that. And you know why I use it? I use it to see what time I'm going to get somewhere.

02:45:11 - 02:45:11 | Speaker 1:

So do I.

02:45:12 - 02:45:13 | Speaker 5:

So it's not even so much how to get there.

02:45:13 - 02:45:19 | Speaker 1:

That's a big part of the reason. Even if it's somewhere I know how to get to, which is very few places, but I like to know what time I'm going to arrive.

02:45:20 - 02:45:26 | Speaker 5:

I want to be able to tell them a lie of why I'm going to be 15 minutes late or 16 minutes late or whatever it is.

02:45:26 - 02:45:27 | Speaker 1:

So do you always tack a few minutes on to your ETA?

02:45:28 - 02:45:30 | Speaker 5:

Oh, believe me. And then if I'm there early, guess what?

02:45:30 - 02:45:31 | Speaker 1:

Give yourself some wiggle room.

02:45:31 - 02:46:13 | Speaker 5:
