nightmare yeah so i'm really frustrated because i love sleeping more than anything in the entire world if you know me you know that's probably the truest thing i'll ever say and i love it partly because i love to ignore my real life responsibilities but also because i get to have the most amazing vivid dreams nearly every night and i don't really get bad dreams except for this one that i just had like i could not believe how terrifying this nightmare was so let me set the scene for you perfect except this is too happy and too pleasant uh i need more like horror music for this one okay all right hold on now there's two parts to this yeah perfect actually that sound effect keep it on standby we're gonna need it later so um to to make it really brief and really short i had gone to some sort of like shopping mall you know when you feel like you're in a place but you don't really see it it's like in a shopping mall and I was trying to pay for something and in my purse my credit card and my license are always next to each other and this guy comes up behind me and he's also an actor who I've seen in eight million things could not tell you who he is or what he's been in but the next time I see him I will be triggered he comes up behind me and he grabs me like around the waist and I'm thinking this is gonna be fun uh because again pretty early on as fun like as in fun like fun right because it's early on in the dream i didn't know that the sharp left turn we were about to take um he steals my license and i i looked at him and i was like hey dummy i've been trying to steal my money you took the wrong card and he was he it was like he didn't talk to me but he looked at me like no this is the one i wanted and he ran away and i was very creeped out by this and i realized oh he has my address oh that's where we were in

the dream. This is all going on in this dream.

Cut to the next part of the dream. You know how we jump cut? It's a movie. Next scene. I'm sleeping on a mattress in my garage of my childhood home.

Which is actually right down the street from the home you live in now. No.

The one that my dad sold that I grew up in. Oh, that one. Okay. I'm in the garage, sleeping next to a person, a girl. I don't know who she is, but I'm comfortable with her in the dream. i hate i hate when that happens and i said somebody's here check the door the door to the driveway and she was like it's unlocked and i go somebody's here to murder us and i go into the house and immediately say we need to get some knives like we should go to the butcher block and get some knives to defend ourselves i think we're about to be murdered so we're walking down the hallway from the garage to the kitchen and we're trying to be extra quiet right and i just have this weird feeling and we get to the butcher block.

block and there are no knives in the butcher block. And I start checking all the drawers that we had our silverware in, no sharp knives anywhere. And I swear to God, you guys, all of a sudden, running at me full speed was this man, two butcher knives in his hands and he's about to murder me. And I know that dreams get super weird sometimes and you move super, super slow. And it feels like I'm running through quicksands because that was supposed to be a big deal.

I feel like I'm living this dream with her right now, don't you guys?

We're almost to the end, I promise you. I feel like I'm running and all of a sudden his arm is in the air, his knife is in his hand and I'm realizing I'm dreaming and I'm like telling myself, wake up, wake up. You need to wake up. You're about to be killed in this dream. You need to wake up. You have to wake yourself up. And as like the knife is coming down, I'm able to wake myself up, but it's one of those like, I woke up and I'm sweating and I'm panting. Like this is real life you woke up? Yes. And then immediately, I go, well, that's a sign I'm about to be murdered in this house. So it's 1 o'clock in the morning, 1230, 1 o'clock in the morning. And I go, you know what the proper thing to do is now? Get out of bed, check the window locks, the door locks, my house alarm, and prepare for a fight. So I went through my entire house. I pulled out every window. I checked every door. I reset my alarm on my house. And then I grabbed a knife from my kitchen, a bunch of knives. And I slept with it The remainder of my night on my bedside table

So the dream was so realistic It got you to actually Go get a knife And put it next to your bed When you woke up from this dream

Yeah because I thought my body was telling me Almost like a premonition I was about to be murdered So the only way to defend yourself Is immediately go back to sleep Just put a knife easily accessible On your bedside table where anybody could reach it if they were trying to kill you because you're a heavy sleeper.

So when you woke up from this, you know, from going back to bed finally, when you woke up and saw that knife there, was it just like freaky to see a knife just sitting there right on your nightstand?

A part of me laughed at myself like, you idiot, what did you think you were going to do? But at the time, I just kept thinking, if I don't go back to bed now, this is going to be an even bigger problem. So if this lets you fall back asleep, just put the knife on your bedside table.

What did you eat last night before bed?

How many gummies?

Nine. Two, three, or four? Nine. I had some chicken nuggies. Oh, okay.

That's what I was going towards more so than gummies. Because for some reason, if I eat really crappy before I go to bed, I have the worst nightmares. Yeah. I don't know what the story is. Like if I decide that, you know, we're going to do like a DoorDash fast food run or something like that, or if I go back to the kitchen and grab something else and try to eat that right before bed, I get really, really freaking bad dreams.

I hate those dreams that I wake up and I can feel it in my chest. You know, you still have the feeling that you had in a dream and it sounds like that's exactly what you were experiencing.

Absolutely. You know what's wild about this is that you know a dream is really, really bad. And I don't know if any other listeners have done the same thing too. Have you ever woke up and you had, like, a weapon with you next to yourself in bed because your dream was so bad? You got up in the middle of the night to get something to protect yourself? And sometimes the weapon is kind of funny. Like, it's not really going to protect you. I'd love to know what your weapon of choice was. But, Ian, what did you want to say to Megan?

Megan, I just want to say, what if that was you in an alternate universe? Like, you just witnessed yourself being murdered in a different universe.

You know what's wild? It's wild when you sit there and you have these dreams and they happen to you and then they come in bunches. Are you worried that you go to bed tonight? You might have this guy show up in your dream again?

Yeah, because you know what dreams I normally have? I can control my own flying. It's amazing. I love it. I have happy, pleasant, vivid dreams. Now, I feel like my favorite thing in the world, sleeping, has been ruined. I'm scared to do my favorite thing now.

No clue. What were you drinking before bed that night? Nothing. I was sick as a dog. Oh, really? Well, there you go. You know that happens to you, right? Well, even just being sick, too, just having that in your system sometimes causes you to get nightmares. Jackie, what's going on?

Oh, yeah, I have nightmares very similar to Megan's a lot. Yeah. But the only problem is when I wake up, I wish I woke up, like, panicked because I wake up in sleep paralysis. And so then I just lay there after the nightmare trying to, like, scream to wake myself the rest of the way up. but I just feel somebody, like, staring at me from behind me.

Oh, my gosh.

So that's fun. That's terrifying.

Those are so scary. Do you have your bed positioned so that nobody can get behind the bed? Like, is it pushed up against the wall?

Yeah, I have one side against the wall, but it's annoying if you wake up facing the wall because then you can just, like, feel like you hear somebody behind you.

like oh my goodness have a great day that was how he told you as man oh like I was like great now I have to go to work in an hour and hope that I'm good yes um you know what that did he tell you like exactly how like in the dream did it show you show him no I think that we were in the car

and he told me to stay there but me being me I'm like no I'm good I'm gonna come with you

Oh, my gosh. That's no way to send your girl off to work. Then he went right back to bed. Have a great day, right?

Shannon, this Prince Harry Meghan Markle paparazzi chase was crazy when it broke yesterday after the show. Of course, it always has to break after the show. But it's even crazier now when you start hearing the New York City police officials and the mayor saying that they didn't believe that it

That was what the Harry and Meghan people think. Yeah, yeah. So Prince Harry, Meghan, and her mom, Doria, were involved in a quote-unquote near-catastrophic car chase on Tuesday night. I say that quote-unquote because that's according to their spokesperson.

Yeah, their spokesperson's the one that called it that.

Yes. Harry and Meghan were attending an award ceremony that was hosting by the Miss Foundation for Women. Meghan was among the 2023 Women of Vision Award honorees. It was a big night for her. The event was held at the very fancy Ziegfeld Ballroom in Manhattan, lasted about three hours. And when they left, Harry and Meghan got into a waiting SUV. They had about three vehicles as part of their little entourage. Well, according to Harry and Meghan's spokesperson, a ring of highly aggressive paparazzi followed them for more than two hours. They said the relentless pursuit resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians, and even two NYPD officers. Allegedly, the spokesperson's side of the story said police did not make any sort of attempts to stop this pursuit. There was a taxi driver who tried to help the couple.

They looked nervous. I mean, I think they were being chased the whole day or something. because they were pretty nervous, you know. But the security guard, he was on it. Security guard hailed me. And next thing you know, Prince Harry and his wife were hopping into my cab. And as we went to block, we got blocked by a garbage truck. And all of a sudden, paparazzis came and started taking pictures. And then instead of, they were just about to give me the location where they were going to go. But then they told me to circle back to the precinct. So we circled back to the precinct.

Yeah, so once at the police department, they switched vehicles in another attempt to get away. In a statement yesterday, police confirmed they had assisted the couple's private security team during their return home. Harry and Meghan ended up arriving at their destination safely. But next hour, I'm going to play you some audio from the New York Mayor, Eric Adams, who said, yes, this did happen. However, it was a little exaggerated.

I've been to Manhattan a few times. I know you guys have, too. It's hard to have a police chase or a chase, period. You can't move. You can't. There's so many cars all over the place.

Right.

I mean, I could see if this thing was on foot or bikes.

Right, but they were driving on the sidewalks trying to get as close to them as possible. I mean, if you see some of the photographs that were sold to the Daily Mail before the Daily Mail decided to take it down because they were the only one purchasing these photographs and then it made them look bad. You can see Harry is filming all of this because, let's be honest, the first thing everybody's going to say is, these two are being so dramatic, so now they have to get proof over everything that happens. And think about how dramatic this is going to be, because arguably his family has already orchestrated his mother being killed in this manner. So it's not out of the realm of possibilities for him to be killed in this situation.

How does he not have better security than this, though? I know he gave up his royal security, but why does he not have, with all the money he makes off of his Netflix shows and all the things that he's been doing, how does he not have better security to lock up his house and to have people away from him?

I think part of it is because he wasn't at home. I think it's very reminiscent of Kim Kardashian in Paris. Did she have security? Yes. Was it enough? Not, not, obviously not because she went through what she did, but she doesn't face that. Yeah, she doesn't face that when she's at home because she has more security details. So I think part of the reason that this happened specifically was because they were in New York. They weren't at home. They didn't have the same kind of measures they normally do. It was the perfect opportunity for the paparazzi to do this.

But they at home have bad security, too, because there's that person that got into their house that Shannon reported this week.

Yeah, but people break into the celebrity stuff all the time. Like, I personally feel like security is mostly a facade like the TSA. Like, it's really theater at that point.

In other Dirty Today, days after Britney Spears' husband, Sam, defended her uninstalled.

And in the wake of the rumors that their marriage is about to end, she shared a little snippet of their life together with her fans. She posted a video to her Instagram stories yesterday of a hangout with Sam and one of his guy friends. And she captioned it, first time with one of my hubby's friends. My boys are at that awkward age and I haven't been able to shoot them for four years. Sam is sort of silly about it too. It was cool to make contact yesterday. Sydney Sweeney, who starred in the first season of White Lotus, did not appear in season two. But she was asked yesterday whether she will be returning for season three, which is currently being filmed in Thailand.

White Lotus, are you going to be in the next one, Thailand? I can't say anything about the next season. I think that might be a yes then.

Totally, yeah. She was also asked about the next season of Euphoria, if you're a fan of that show.

I know that the fans would probably love to see Cassie redeem herself, which might be possible, I don't know. But as an actor, I love Crazy Cassie. It is so fun to do.

And Family Guy and American Dad creator Seth MacFarlane has called it quits. And this all has to do with the Writers Guild of America strike. His showrunners have also walked out. Seth, I'm told, has zero plans to return to both shows until an agreement between the Writers Guild and his studio. 20th television has been reached. Now, I know Family Guy just wrapped up its 21st season earlier this month, but American Dad is only two months into its 20th season. The show has, like, three or four months of scripts and voiceovers complete, so I'm not sure what's going to happen to the rest of the season if this strike continues past that point. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Alright, what do you got, Shannon, in this hour's Dirty on the 30?

Well, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and Meghan's mom, Doria, were involved in a pretty, I mean, her people are saying, near-catastrophic car chase involving the paparazzi in New York City. This happened after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended an awards ceremony that Meghan was being honored at on Tuesday night. Their Your spokesperson said, quote, this relentless pursuit lasted for over two hours and involved multiple near collisions involving other drivers, pedestrians and two New York City Police Department officers. There were upwards of six blacked out SUVs chasing them, tons of paparazzi on foot as well. This is the mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, commenting.

I think all of us, I don't think there's many of us who don't recall how his mom died and it would be horrific to lose an innocent bystander during a chase like this and something to have happened to them as well. So I think we have to be extremely responsible. I thought that was a bit reckless and irresponsible.

So he expressed empathy, but he said there are certain details the media is reporting that are a little hard to believe.

I would find it hard to believe that there was a two-hour high-speed chase. You didn't say high-speed. I find it hard to believe, but we will find out the exact duration of it. But if it's a 10-minute chase, a 10-minute chase is extremely dangerous in New York City.

Right. So that was my thought, too. They said near catastrophic. They never said high-speed. Right. So just so you're aware, Harry and Meghan obviously ultimately arrived at their destinations safely. And thankfully, there were no reported collisions or injuries or arrests because of this. However, this incident does highlight Harry's ongoing concerns over his security. I mean, this is exactly making the point that he's been trying to make for the past couple of years. Yeah, you have good memory, Mike. A Florida judge ruled yesterday that the ex-girlfriend of Tiger Woods must abide by the NDA that she signed and resolve her lawsuit seeking millions from Tiger behind closed doors. This is not heading to court. Erica Herman's attempt to squash the 2017 NDA by saying that Tiger had committed sexual harassment against her. It was that it was denied. And the judge essentially said Erica has had ample opportunity to make a claim regarding a sexual assault or sexual harassment. However, she never did. She's not done so. All of a sudden, this story is coming out of nowhere. The judge also said that the evidence shows that an NDA was negotiated between Erica and Tiger, even if her attorney now questions whether she actually signed it. The judge is saying it doesn't matter. You did. And so you have to abide by it now. Erica had sued Tiger and his trust. She wants $30 million. And Post Malone surprised a singer in Glasgow, Scotland, by helping him buy a house. This is a really cute story. Gregor Hunter Coleman was performing his regular gig at this little hole in the wall. It was Glasgow's Wonder Bar when Post Malone walked in. He'd just finished a show in the city.

Guys came up to me and said, Post Malone's coming in. Make sure you keep playing. He's going to be in and he's going to hear you. And I didn't believe him, so I just kept playing. And I saw him come in. And then one of the guys from his team called me over and said, listen, Post Malone wants to meet you. So I jumped on that and I went over and saw him. And I was like, oh, that was amazing, man.

Yeah, Posty tried to offer this guy a drink who said, oh, you know, I gave up drinking because I'm trying to save up to pay for a house. And Post just totally respected what this guy was doing.

He said, do you want a drink? And I was like, listen, I'm saving for a house, not drinking just now. He said, oh, no, that's cool, man. Respect that. He gave me a hug and he said, do you want to come around and play a private gig around at Kong or around at the after party? He said, I was like, well, of course. And he started saying, like, how much will you charge and stuff? And I was like, nothing. Like, it's Post Maloney. This is like the chance of a lifetime.

Post asked him to play the official after party for his show, and this guy couldn't believe what was happening. And that's when Post decided he wanted to help this guy with the down payment for his home.

Oh, my God, this is, like, going to make me cry. I love this story, I know. He came up and sang some songs and chatted to him for ages, and it was so cool. It was just like chatting to one of your pals. He got talking to me, and he offered to help me out with my house deposit. When he was talking about payment for this gig, He was, like, helping out with that, which was bizarre. Like, I'm texting my girlfriend saying, I'm going to be late home tonight. This is what's just happened.

Didn't reveal how much Post Malone gave him, but Post also passed on his phone number to this guy and said, please stay in touch. Like, I want to listen to each other's music. Basically, I want to be friends, which is just a really cool story.

I'll meet her when we do pictures tomorrow. And Misfit Victor said that he was trying to convince Luke a few months ago to go to prom with one of his late 20-year-old waitresses that are at Lulu's. I guess there was some waitress at Lulu's that saw Luke one time come in with me and thought he was really cute and thought he was much older than he was. Because Luke looks, you know, he looks like he's a little bit older. He's got that voice, too, that super deep voice. Yeah. Yeah. Balls. No. And the girl thought he was cute. So Luke was like or Victor was like, that would be like a total boss move at a prom to go with like somebody that, you know, is in their 20s, you know, like or 30s or something like that. Because I think she's close to 30 years old. And I said to Victor, I go, you know how much Chelsea like hates when, you know, anytime there's a situation like this where we try to make a radio bit out of it. I said, she will hate you and hate me.

She'll never, ever forgive us if all of a sudden, you know, we'd make this a radio bit. And so he decided, obviously, to go with whoever this girl is that he's going with. Yeah. But I thought to myself, God, that would have been kind of cool. It wouldn't not have been. Why?

Because it's not fun to bring somebody older to prom who doesn't know anybody. And then you feel like you just have to sit there with them and babysit them the whole night.

So let me think. So he went to my junior prom with me, and this is a guy I dated forever, and great human being, by the way. And by the way, for a little bit of backstory, they are on very good terms and very friendly with each other.

not follow her, nor does he follow her fiance, who he is also very good friends with. And he just said it it's a boundary thing for him. And he he said he is social with them in real life. It's just he is he's good having the interactions he has with them in, quote unquote, real life. And he just wants to leave it there. And so he said to me when she followed me, he was like, you know, I feel like it's just like a little bit of insight into our quote unquote private, which I said to him, it's not really private. I mean, I'm putting it out on social media, but I kind of know what he means. So it's just an interesting question of should you follow your ex on social media? Is it healthy? Should you not?

Well, here's the thing. honestly I think it's a case by case basis but I kind of like what Wes is doing and I'm going to say this that I do think that it's not about like I don't like the person anymore. But you guys you know if you're if you if some people like are always kind of like doing their thing and showing like showing you almost too much stuff on social media and sometimes that can get in your head a little bit. I was listening to a podcast, and I saw this barrier, and I'm like, that looks like it's closed off, but it also does not. There's no sign that says you can't go on, so I'm just going to.

go. I don't even know which direction I was heading. That's how bad of a driver I am. I think I was going eastbound 696. You guys know how messed up that road is right now. So bad. I pull up and I realize that I'm being followed by gravel trucks and other construction workers. I realized that I was whipping right through a closed lane on 696. Like it was, oh my gosh, do I start panicking now? Do I turn around and go back the other way? Nope, I'm going to keep going. I'm just going to keep driving by the guys eating lunch. Oh my God, Gary. What did they do when you were driving by them? Honestly, they were just like going about their life. Could you read it all the way through? I don't think they realized I was a... Did you have to turn around? No, I went... You guys, I made it home so fast, I beat the traffic. Wait.

So again, if you're just tuning in, you drove right through their construction barriers and you drove right by them while they were just driving. Yep. And they thought that you were probably the construction company.

Yeah, so I drive that a lot, and I've never gone into the construction area and almost hit someone.

And I'm not from there. I was listening to this podcast about, you know, paying attention in life and being on top of your habits, and I'm like, I am driving through a construction zone right now. But if I had a truck like yours, I would do that all the time. Well, that's the only way I got through it. Sorry, I always swore I was a great driver until last week. So last week, I was in Ann Arbor, and you know how there's just so many construction zones and, like, one-way areas, and I ended up going down a one-way area.

How far into it were you? And were there cars coming right at you? Are you there still?

Almost. I mean, like, a solid quarter of a mile.

That happens a lot.

Luckily, the car was so nice. They're like, turn around, turn around.

That happens so much in downtown Grand Rapids because the streets are so weird here. And they're all one ways. So, like, you'll see people probably three or four times a day going the wrong way on the road. And then once they've driven part of the way down the road and you tell them, they're like, I don't care. I ain't turning around. I'm just going to where I got to go. I don't care.

I have to tell you, sometimes, like, the apps will tell you to turn down a one-way. And if you're not paying attention, like, you just do it because it's telling you to do it.

ripped the, like, hitch cover off, and when I got to Menards, I realized it was gone, so then I had to drive all the way back through the construction zone to go get the hitch cover.

Excuse me, guys, did you happen to see this? Shock it up is a loss at that point. What did you do? Did you go, guys, excuse me, guys, hi, my name is Misfit Ron?

No, this was at nighttime. This was at night.

Oh, thank God there was nobody there at that time, huh?

Yeah, so everybody was talking yesterday afternoon about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and her mom being involved in this quote-unquote near-catastrophic car chase on Tuesday night. And I put that in quotes because that was how her or their spokespeople described it, okay?

I think the near-catastrophic part is the thing that got everybody's attention, especially because of the Princess Diana situation.

Absolutely. Yeah, so they were in New York City. Megan was being honored with the 2023 Women of Vision Award. And so after this three-hour event that both Harry and Megan and Megan's mom were at, they got into a waiting SUV and attempted to go back to where they were staying. Well, according to Harry and Megan's spokesperson, quote, a ring of highly aggressive paparazzi followed them for over two hours. They said the relentless pursuit resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two nypd officers eventually harry and megan's security trying to get this taxi driver to help them and kind of throw off the paparazzi a little bit well they look nervous i mean i think

they were being chased the whole day or something so they were pretty nervous you know but the security guard he was on it security guard hailed me and next thing you know prince harry and his wife were hopping into my cab and as we went to block we got blocked by a garbage truck and all of a sudden paparazzis came and started taking pictures and then instead they were just about to give me the location where they were gonna go but then they told me to circle back to the

precinct so we circle back to the precinct yeah i went back to the precinct once there they switched vehicles and another attempt to get away being a new york city cabbie and all of a sudden

here's here's the prince and the princess and they're getting in the back of the car and you got to be driving around do you think that they watched the ads the jimmy kimmel ads for his tv

over and over and over again because they play the same one like 20 times. Thankfully, everybody was, you know, returned home safely. Nobody was injured. There were no arrests. But still very, very scary moment for them. Adidas launched its Pride 2023 swimwear collection advertising bathing suits on its website under the women's section, but with a male model. And the internet, as you can imagine, has thoughts. One of the bathing suits, a very colorful one piece called the Pride swimsuit, price tag 70 bucks, was being sewn off by an apparently male model who was also displaying a noticeable bulge in the crotch area. Also some chest hair rising above the neckline. Many people on Twitter slamming Adidas for going woke. Among the replies was a former NCAA swimming star, women's rights activist Riley Gaines, who tweeted, Women's swimsuits aren't accessorized with a bulge. I don't understand why companies are voluntarily doing this. They could have at least said the swimsuit is unisex. But because they didn't, it's about erasing women. Selena Gomez is going to be launching two new series over at the Food Network. She's developing two projects, including a celebration-focused series that we'll only see around the holidays. She's also going to launch a second series next year that will see her meeting up with some of the best chefs in the country in a quest to cook their most popular dishes inside of their own kitchens. And lastly, this story is crazy and gross all at the same time. An Australian OnlyFans model named Ty is going viral on TikTok because she's telling the story about how she discovered who her number one fan was on her OnlyFans.

When I first started my website, I had this customer who was my number one customer, bought every single thing that I sent him. we would talk every day he made custom requests very very specific things the guy turned out to be a family member listen to this two months in i had someone view my tiktok page with the exact same username and underneath that it said from your contacts i went absolutely mental trying to figure out who this person was from my contacts i narrowed it down to six people and one of them was my stepdad i went with my gut feeling and i messaged the website account and i said i know who this is and within two minutes got a text from my stepdad saying hey tay can we talk i said her

name wrong by the way i said ty it's tay but she said the discovery has broken up her mother's marriage to her stepdad but she has no regrets wow she was doing she actually did also i watched

that tiktok and she also said a lot of people might think that this is a great porn thing but This is my stepfather who raised me since she was like nine years old. That's creepy. It's really creepy.

Graduation parties. Do you have all the cards ready? I remember that summer when I graduated and my mom, we just like lined up cards on the kitchen counter.

And we got to go. Man, so I think that we're up to right now 30 maybe graduations. Oh, wow. Yeah, so I think we got to go to 30 graduations. You don't like going to them though? I think they're fun. And you know what? They are fun, but it becomes a little bit of a task to realize that you got to sometimes go to three to four in one day and you feel like a like a jerk if there's like one particular one you want to hang out more at and you hope that you can but then the problem is you can't because then you look like you're not hanging out and it's tough because they're all luke's friends he goes so luke goes to a pretty small school like there's not a huge graduating class it's like over 100 and some but under 200 and um all the kids are really close and luke's been going to school with many of these kids since kindergarten and those are the kids that you kind of like try to play favorites to because you've known them for longer yeah but then you also got like your friends like the dads are friends of yours and stuff that you go to having a party so this is an interesting thing i'm gonna bring this up because i thought that this was you know kind of an interesting little development do you remember how joe threw like the the party party

Chelsea and I were going through pictures of that The other day It was so weird to see pictures I had a brand new baby

I had just had Lucy a couple weeks before

It was wild to see All the people from the show that came out It was wild to see friends of yours That you haven't seen in forever And all of a sudden you go, who is that? And you're like, oh my god, look at that person But it's really wild to see this To see what's going on Actually, one of the wildest ones was My buddy Will, who I've talked about on the show Remember he told that story? Do you know that Will used to date Candace, our old babysitter, before he married Jessica, who is his wife right now? No way. And so Chelsea found a picture of Candace and Will together, and Will looks exactly the same. Like, it's wild. He hasn't aged at all. All the guys do. Looks exactly the same. Yeah. So here's what Luke decided. Luke said he did not want to have a graduation party unless we wouldn't take him up on this offer. He wanted to know how much money it cost to throw Joe's party, and he wanted that monetary amount in a savings account for him.

So smart.

I said no. I said, there's bad economic times right now. Times were a little bit better back. No, Chelsea and I figured something out. That's great. And Jacob did the same thing, too.

Yeah, I remember Jacob doing that.

And so Jacob did not want it. Jacob did not want a grad party. And what he wanted was he wanted to be able to go start college and have, like, money, you know, to go to college with. Which, honestly, you have a grad party. You get money because you get, like, friends and family writing you, you know, checks for things, right? You just want him to have a party. No, I really didn't want a party, like, crazy party. You know what, those tiny sandwiches, they're delicious. Mike, you know what we do at our parties, all the Notre Dame prep people? they all will go and find the restaurant in the area that is the like really good restaurant like the hardest thing is the school is kind of close to the clarkston union so whoever has the party nearest you know in date wise usually is the one that gets the first dibs on the clarkston union mac and cheese so you usually find you find like the or like what we did for joe joe was going to chicago for school he was going to columbia college chelsea did all chicago type food so she did like portillo's she did you know like deep dish giordano's pizza oh that was the best hot dogs chicago style hot dogs remember the chicago style hot dog place that you had a food truck yeah we had like a he was a i remember he had a place i think and i think it might still be there but it was right by somerset that the guy had it but it was kind of a cool but i agree with you I'm like, food at parties, at grad parties, is the only reason why you go to a grad party. Yeah. It's like, I don't know if it's all the same shredded chicken, but it's delicious. It's all the same. It's the, I don't know if they get them the same.

Chicken, mustacholi. Yeah. Some of them are the same.

There is something about, like, going to a grad party, and it's in the backyard, and they've got the tent up, and, you know, they've got food going. I go right to the food table. As soon as I go to the grad party, I walk in, I got my card. Do you look at the poster board? I do. Gotta look at the poster board. I look at the poster boards from the years. Actually, some of the parties that I've gone to over the years, these parents, these moms, because you know it's no dad doing this stuff. These moms will put together the most amazing displays of their kids over the years, like the kids, you know, letters from school and their letterman's jackets and pictures from them when they were little kids. I always like to see what they looked like as little kids. And then they do videos. Chelsea did a video. And I wonder if Chelsea's doing a video for Luke I have not asked her But she did a video for Joe And then she did a montage thing for Jacob That literally made me sob With music attached to it and stuff What's up, Shelly?

They were, like, sad that they got me, and then they didn't get Chelsea for that. I saw something on Facebook that I thought was ridiculous, and I'm going to get into the War of the Roses after I tell you this. I saw a mom put on her Facebook, one of my Facebook friends, put on invites for her kindergartner's graduation party.

Oh, they threw a party.

They have kindergarten graduation, and they're doing a grad party for their kindergartner. I would do something.

So, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Meghan's mom, Doria, involved in a near-catastrophic car chase involving the paparazzi in New York City late Tuesday night. This is after an awards ceremony that the three attended. Meghan was being honored at. And their spokesperson said this, quote-unquote, relentless pursuit lasted for more than two hours. There were multiple near collisions involving other drivers, pedestrians, to NYP.

PD officers. There were upwards of six blacked-out SUVs chasing the Duke and Duchess, along with a lot of photographers on foot. This is the mayor of New York City, Eric Adams,

commenting. I think all of us, I don't think there's many of us who don't recall how his mom died and it would be horrific to lose an innocent bystander during a chase like this and something to have happened to them as well. So I think we have to be extremely responsible. I thought that was a bit reckless and irresponsible.

Yeah, he expressed empathy, but then he said, look, there are some details that seem to be exaggerated here.

I would find it hard to believe that there was a two-hour high-speed chase. That would be, I find it hard to believe, but we will find out the exact duration of it. But if it's 10 minutes, a 10-minute chase is extremely dangerous in New York City.

Yeah, and one thing that is new this morning, according to some photographers who were there and who were trying to capture some photos, they said, no, there were no near collisions and there were no near crashes.

Of course not. They were the ones causing the problems. Of course they're going to say that.

So they are allegedly switching up The ice And people cannot handle this I think this is like the best news ever They're switching out Their normal cubed ice for the best ice on the planet, the nugget ice that you could get at Sonic, like the ice maker that we got you. Oh, I love that kind of ice. The nugget, the little circular ice, the best ice. So this rumor started gaining steam a couple of days ago when a Reddit thread started by a Starbucks employee went viral. And this employee posted a picture of the Pebble Ice in all of its glory, claiming he was working at one of the three stores testing the new ice that was going to be, you know, launched nationwide at whatever point. People are probably upset because— This started this big debate about which ice is better, Nugget Ice or Cube Ice, and there's only one good answer, and it's Nugget Ice.

Well, you're right with that, unless you want your ice to last longer, and Nugget Ice does not last that long. So it's not very good ice to have.

Well, and people are saying it's going to change the consistency of some of the frappuccinos, or as you say, frappuccinos. It's going to change the consistency of some of the blended drinks.

No, it's because she got burned. She had a bad experience. But my poor friend who is still this lady's client doesn't want to tell her mostly because she knows she'll be pissed and she doesn't want to sit in awkwardness for her appointments from this point forward. I've always wanted to know about, like, if you know that there's going to be 10 empty spots and you have to pay for the food, do you just invite people just to eat the food?

The Megan topic about having the nightmare and having to go grab the knife and put it next to the bed. The topic that I think that we could have gotten into with that, and I know people got really into what their dreams were. I want people to call us up and tell us, what do you have next to your bed to defend yourself against an intruder potentially coming in? Because when Megan said that she went and grabbed a butcher knife and put it next to her bed, I thought that is the worst thing that you potentially could have next to your bed to defend yourself.

That's at least something. No, because then the killer is going to walk in and go, oh, look it. There's a knife right next to her bed. She'll still be sleeping. He's not going to be a loud killer.

Have you ever watched the TV shows, the cop shows and things like that, where they just sit there and they hold you and they bang your arm until the knife falls out of the arm and then they get the knife and they stab you with it?

So what you do is you actually hold it so the blade goes along your forearm. You're welcome, ladies. That's a really big tip so that guys can't take it out of your hand. And second of all, that's it.

Just first of all. Just first is all you needed. For me, under my bed, I have a Louisville Slugger baseball bat that we got when we went to go visit Chelsea's biological father in Louisville. And I had them make one that says my name on it. First off, I had it in the garage. And then I thought, oh, this is too nice to have in a garage. So I brought it in my bedroom and I realized Chelsea wasn't going to let me hang it anywhere.

in the bedroom that's just not what happens once you're you know over the age of 12 and so i put it underneath my bed and i've got it underneath the bed so if a burglar were to ever come into my house i'm gonna swing for the fences man can i give you a tip yeah put a giant sock over it

because it won't hurt any less but if somebody grabs it you can still pull the bat out of their

hands they'll hold on to the sock genius you watch so much crime stuff don't you really do

I am a single woman who has lived alone before. I know all of the

tricks. Well, me too, and the only thing next to my bed that would not save me is a noise machine that plays ocean sounds. That's what I got. Come and get me.

How easy does it rip out of the wall? You could use that to throw

it at somebody. Yeah, that's actually not that heavy. Or if you want noises, could you imagine if you had one of those little canister air horns? Like, you know, we have the air horns that goes off. That would be great. Just shoot it right in their face.

Oh, well it ain't me but it's actually my wife and daughter. I'm a truck driver, so once in a while I've got to be gone for a few days. They use those big grizzly bear sprays that you would carry in Alaska.

And it's got that extra foam, so when it sprays, it sticks.

You know what? That would be a perfect thing, because something that squirts out far enough, you know what I mean, like the mace that Megan has? Yeah. So how far can you be away from a person?

It's 25 feet. Oh, wow. Okay.

That's perfect.

So my wife and daughter, they both have one in each of the rooms because it's on the outside of the house. But, yeah, we tested it a couple times when it's about to expire. That stuff sticks, and you can be about 50 feet away, and it's going to affect you.

Yeah.

I like that. That's good. That's what they have.

I think that stuff would work the best because even with, like, a knife or anything else like that, You've got to be super close to the person to use it. Right, right. So it might not work.

Yeah, I think that you've got to be careful if the thing actually turns out to hurt you because you don't realize the thing's still there. Because a lot of times you don't even realize that you got it stuck there. All right, all good items, very, very good items that if you need to protect yourself, you can have. So today is the actual day that I have that meeting at Michigan Medicine.

So today I got to fire out of here, you know, pretty quickly and get to this noon meeting. Here are some of the top trending stories of the day. This is a national story that was a big one. Did you hear about the Michigan woman and her fiance who were arrested after the woman's seven-year-old child brought a pink gun to school at Cesar Chavez Elementary School in Grand Rapids? The child put the unloaded gun in his backpack. Several staff members immediately took the weapon away and then called the police. the police then found that the kid's mother and the fiancee did not properly store this gun so

they're getting charged here today to announce charges this comes stems from the incident that happened at caesar chavez elementary school the week before last i believe we have filed two charges in this matter we have charged aubrey wilson with one count of child abuse in the fourth with the Greek.

child chelsea berkeley with one count of felon in possession of a firearm child abuse in the fourth degree is a misdemeanor charge is a one year maximum penalty of $1,000 felon in possession of a firearm is a five year maximum penalty felony we can't get into the details too much but just real briefly i can say that essentially what we have here is one individual brought the gun into the home and the other individual was the one who put the the gun in a place accessible to the child that brought it to see you.

Police also said that the gun is believed to have been stolen. So that's another interesting little twist to that story. Another story from Michigan. A student in Michigan created a hoax where there was an alien invasion to try to get out of a math test. Somebody needs to look this up. Where is Hemlock Public Schools? Hemlock Public School student posted on social media that flying saucers were in the sky before landing on a playground. The school district superintendent said the rumor spread on social media and that there was never any danger to the students. The student responsible for the rumor is going to be disciplined, but isn't known exactly what consequences will be faced.

It's near Saginaw, by the way.

Is it? So explain this to me. Like, you thought that, I mean, I guess that that's better than, you know, saying that there was, you know, like, there's been, like, falsified, like, there's weapons in school or somebody's going to do something. I mean, maybe an alien invasion might not be a bad thing, but to think that they're actually going to do anything about it, I don't know. um oxford schools in the area another local story did you see that the oxford school students are upset because the district won't let them wear orange ropes at school signifying that there needs to be weapons control this is the same school by the way where remember you know a couple years ago there was the shooting that was there that took the lives of students and the students that were graduating this year were from that graduating class these students that were there. So there's been like this debate. And I guess the district and the people that are on the school board said that they didn't want to do it because they felt like it was too much of a political message. Students are reportedly going to still do it. I don't know what's going to end up happening. I mean, I don't know what they could do to you if you did that. But yeah, that's a big story that was uh trending um california assembly has passed a bill banning skittles and nerds yes so the ingredients that are in skittles and nerds they say is uh is you know so processed i guess

it's the with the gel that red dye there are five there are five specific i don't have the story in front of me, but if I recall it correctly, there are five specific ingredients in Skittles and Nerds that are really just not good for you. In fact, I believe, like, over in Europe, those ingredients are not even allowed in foods, but they are in several foods, a lot of foods here in the States, including Skittles and Nerds.

When you say not good for you, like, what will it do to you?

Don't they cause cancer?

Yeah. Are you serious?

I just gave Nerds to my kids last night.

Oh, yeah. I mean, I had no idea. Yeah. The bill would ban processed foods with chemicals, red dye number three, titanium dioxide, potassium bromate, brominated vegetable oil and the propyl paraben. Oh, thank God you said that. Yeah. Yeah. The FDA says that information in the bill is incorrect. An FDA official says the claim that these substances have not undergone FDA review is inaccurate. All of these substances have been evaluated by the FDA and deemed to be safe. So the FDA is discounting what they're doing.

I mean, our makeup is the same way, by the way. There are so many things in skin care here in the States that are not even allowed in skin care over in Europe.

That's why they always say, isn't it like the Korean skin care is the best skin care?

Oh, yeah.

I mean, I don't know.

Because of all the stuff that they don't allow or whatever.

Did you guys hear the story about how New York City is sinking under the weight of its heavy buildings? Researchers have shown that the skyscrapers are so heavy that New York has more than 1 million buildings that weigh 1.7 trillion pounds, which has caused for the city to be sinking, falling closer to the water at a rate of 1 to 2 millimeters a year. They say that the gradual descent makes New York City extremely vulnerable to natural disaster.

that's scary and uh interestingly enough i don't know if they can do anything about it you know i don't think that there's any way that they can um target says that rampant shoplifting has cost them 1.2 billion dollars in profits and they say that now they're actually going to go to the higher theft areas which they've already done i guess they've done it in san francisco and close down all of those stores so if they have areas where they're constantly getting robbed they're just going to close the store down because they say it's gotten to be so bad that they're not going

to keep the stores open. Did you hear the other story about Target? I saw it everywhere yesterday. All of my mom friends were sharing it about their return policy for a lot of the Target branded kids clothing items like Cat and Jack is a really popular one. Parents are literally returning entire wardrobes of cat and jack clothes for example for their kids you have up to a year to get a full refund from target even if they've been worn whatever and and somebody just discovered this policy and now it's like being shared over and over again everywhere because kids grow so fast like i i feel like i'm buying new clothes for lucy and smith every six months at this point because they're just, like, growing, like, crazy. And so, you know, Cat and Jack prides itself on the quality of their clothes. And Target, you can return any product to any Target store for up to a year after you purchase them. Wow. I love that you have the receipt.

Somebody should actually come up with a store where it's just, like, the hand-me-downs and do that, you know? Where if you outgrow them, you can just kind of give them to the next person and then take the next person's kind of clothes. I know we have second-hand stores and stuff, but maybe you just do it, like, kind of like a subscription-based.

But that's basically what this is. you're returning like an entire wardrobe of a size getting the money back and you're able to

buy every a new size yeah no that's great um and this last story is a wild story uh anybody that is uh divorced or going through any kind of issues as far as where to live after you've had a split and a breakup there are new a new trend called momunes like communes where there are divorced single moms that are deciding that they are going to take up residence with each other so you find another person that's in the same boat as you where they're a mom they're raising a family they need daycare they need to be able to you know provide for their children and then you guys all decide that you're going to live in one place together split the rent split the child care and you're not in any other relationship other than they're now your new roommate and you as Families, multiple families going into

Residences together. I like this idea Except Bedtime would be a disaster Could you imagine

You have different philosophies based on that Right I mean, God, I never thought about that I thought that the financial would be great Like at least having somebody to watch your kids During the day would be great Or, you know, what to do on a snow day And you don't know where to put the kids What's going on Brandon, what are you calling up for?

Hey, I was just calling to comment on that shoplifting stuff that you guys were talking about. Yeah, the Target. Yeah, I live in New York City, and I'm back and forth between Detroit and New York. And the part in New York City I live in, there's actually a Target and a Rite Aid that everything in the store is closed off. So you can't even grab anything off of the shelf itself without actually calling an employee over to come.

Really? What's the strangest thing that you have to call him and ask him to get for you?

uh you know what the other day i went in there i had to get deodorant body wash and stuff like that and it's like you can't even grab it off the shelf you gotta like kind of ask someone to come do your personal uh work so it's a little weird over there yeah you know it's just all from all the tests you know it's it's insane over there and have you ever walk into stores that's what yeah i've watched people walk into stores and just take a bunch of stuff off the shelf and literally run out with it and there's security guards in a lot of the stores over there and the security guards will just like look at, at the guy doing it and say, well, it's not my job. It's like, you know, you can't really blame them nowadays, people carrying weapons and stuff.
