And actually, yesterday we were kind of talking about how, hey, have your dad show up. Who's touching their microphone constantly? New guy. Oh, new guy. What are you doing? I had to scratch my. You're fondling the thing.

00:05:44 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 2:

Whoa.

00:05:44 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 1:

It's too early for that. What is going on over there?

00:05:46 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 2:

Got to get my depth perception. Got to get my distance right. You're going to scratch your head and you don't know how close you are to the mic. Oh, my God. What are those new guy things?

00:05:55 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 1:

Are you professional or not? What in the world is going on over there, Kev? This is day number three. You do not want to see me go crazy here. Oh, Mojo's going crazy. Shake, man, you're amateur. I mean, you can't sit there and, you know, nonstop. It takes away the effectiveness of my voice explaining the daddy-daughter dance to us. This is not good radio! You know, so, all right. I'll be on the podcast. Turn your microphone on here like this. Okay. There you go. Now you turn it back on. You're too used to being in the stadiums where you got that mic there, and you just kind of go, check one, two, check one, two. Siblings, siblings. Do you do that? Have they ever not turned the microphone on for you, by the way? Siblings? I have no idea.

00:06:44 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 3:

You always say that when you're doing a mic check, and I'm like, what does that mean?

00:06:47 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 1:

I've always heard, when I first got into broadcasting, I was hosting an event that was in a small town in Kankakee, Illinois, and the guy was going, siblings, siblings, siblings. I don't know if it was because of the word or if it means something.

00:07:03 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to do that red leather, yellow leather.

00:07:06 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. Have you ever been at the Pistons game, and they didn't turn your mic on, and you're just standing there going, ah, ah.

00:07:13 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's happened before, and it wasn't a good thing.

00:07:16 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 1:

It was. Was it a technical error or somebody just sleeping behind the wheel?

00:07:20 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, exactly. I don't know what they were doing. Too focused on the game. It was a nail-biter.

00:07:25 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 1:

All right. Daddy-daughter dance. Alicia, you are coming to the daddy-daughter dance with your daddy.

00:07:31 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 2:

No.

00:07:32 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 3:

No way.

00:07:33 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 1:

Absolutely. Congratulations. Oh, my gosh.

00:07:36 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 3:

He's going to be so excited. He's had a really tough couple of years. And my mom passed away unexpectedly in 2020. And he just had a lot of medical issues last year. and so this should put a big smile on his face. Oh, man. Oh, good.

00:07:54 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 1:

So he lost the love of his life, and I'm sure you're spending a lot more time with him now, aren't you?

00:08:00 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I'm lucky. I live only a mile away from him.

00:08:03 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 1:

That's great.

00:08:04 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 3:

So I see him almost every day, and we go to church together and all that.

00:08:09 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 1:

Oh, how old are you, Alicia?

00:08:12 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 3:

I'm 34.

00:08:13 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 1:

And how old's Dan?

00:08:16 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 3:

67.

00:08:16 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 1:

Oh, man, we got to get him out. We've got to get them a nice night, okay?

00:08:21 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 3:

Yes, thank you so much.

00:08:23 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 1:

00:09:06 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 4:

Thank you so much.

00:09:07 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 1:

And we mentioned it.

00:09:08 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 4:

Long time listener, first time caller. Yeah, yeah.

00:09:11 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

And we mentioned this is not very far for you to have to drive because Wyandotte's not that not that bad of a of a drive to okay awesome that would be so wonderful thank you we'll see you at daddy daughter dance thanks well i'm sorry i cut you off there we'll see you bye hi thank you all right thanks hold on a second rookie mistake what are you doing over there all right touche touche um it's mojo in the morning so i went up and met with a friend that i hadn't seen in a while yesterday and i i hate going to cities that have parking meters in our area it's like birmingham royal oak have them ferndale and ferndale yeah but they don't have them in like i'm excited wyandotte doesn't have like the meter thing i

00:10:00 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 2:

or, you know, where I've parked. But I hate the meters. I think, honestly, it's like if you have a meter, just charge whoever, you know, so you don't have to sit there and feed meters and stuff like that. It's just stupid. So a buddy of mine has come up with a way that he gets around having to feed the meter. And when I saw that he did this, I thought, is this a genius idea or is this guy a complete moron? we were hanging out for a while. I mean, gosh, over two hours, two and a half hours, got to a point where literally Chelsea called and said, are you ever coming home? And we were leaving and I walked over towards where his car was. And I said to him, I go, where's your car? And he goes, oh, it's right there. And I could look and I see a car with hazard lights on and it's front hood open. And I said, why is that? Why do you have your hazard lights on your front hood open and he said that's how i get around paying for the meters and paying for parking what is i pull it into the parking spot put the hood up with the hazards on and then the people that are the meter reader repeatable just think oh the guy's car broke down he's going to come back and they don't actually will they won't write him a ticket and sure enough they did not we were there for over two hours and he they didn't write him a ticket so in this guy and i had to go on this park mobile app and i this is my problem with the park mobile app the park mobile app you can do it but you can only do it for a certain time and then you cannot up your amount that you're going to stay there unless you put it in for like you have another car or something like

00:11:44 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 4:

that so that's what i do yeah i have another car on my account that is not my car and i just i pay for that car's parking and it leaves the light blinking green, if that makes sense.

00:11:55 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 5:

If you let it run out to zero, like zero, zero, you can add two hours again.

00:12:00 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and yours?

00:12:01 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 5:

Yes. So if I, like, there's a two-hour limit here and so I'll usually, like, do an hour and then add an hour if I'm still out. And if you let it run out to zero, you can just do the same car and add two hours again.

00:12:13 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 2:

Well, you live in a respectable city. Birmingham, Michigan, I guess they do it because they don't want people just constantly taking up parking spots or parking there for, you know, days or something.

00:12:23 - 00:12:25 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah. No, I get what they're after.

00:12:25 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. You can beat the system. So, well, how about this? How about beating the system by pretending like your car's broken down? Would you ever think about doing that?

00:12:35 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely. Can I ask a dumb question? Yeah. If you put your hazards on, does that affect your battery?

00:12:40 - 00:12:41 | Speaker 2:

It does, but I don't.

00:12:41 - 00:12:42 | Speaker 4:

Like, would it drain your battery?

00:12:42 - 00:12:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, probably. But I don't think two hours would probably necessarily do it. But I agree with you. Yeah, that's something. I mean, you definitely don't want to park it for hours upon hours or days, you know what I mean, like that.

00:12:53 - 00:13:00 | Speaker 6:

Okay, but then how believable then when you have to actually jump your car to get it going again. People are going to say, oh, it really worked broken down. That's true.

00:13:01 - 00:13:03 | Speaker 2:

Is that worth the free parking, I guess?

00:13:03 - 00:13:03 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:13:04 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 1:

You're putting out the bad karma of saying that your car's broken down and now potentially your car could break down because you put it out there.

00:13:10 - 00:13:40 | Speaker 2:

I never thought about that. That's like saying my grandma died, you know, and why you don't have a homework assignment in, you know? Karma is real. But here's the thing with the parking stuff I will park sometimes Like I go get my hair cut And I go to the sixth salon Which has the meters and stuff there Or it has the parking garage And I hate going in the parking garage Because to be perfectly honest with you I feel like going in the parking garage Psychologically to me is a loss Because psychologically I could not find a street parking spot I had to go in the parking garage

00:13:40 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 4:

Even though it's free I don't know what it is It's free up to two hours

00:13:44 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 2:

Up to two hours, exactly So what I do is I find a parking spot, and I always just do the max time. And there have been times where I'll go, and the max time is only one hour. But then there are times I go, and the max time is four hours, and I'm paying, like, crazy amount of money for, you know, an hour haircut. So I always feel like I'm losing either way. What's going on, Jeremy? How you doing?

00:14:04 - 00:14:10 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, there's a Kroger's at Grosse Pointe. They have parking meters in the parking lot.

00:14:10 - 00:14:12 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that sucks.

00:14:12 - 00:14:20 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so you spend money at Trogers, and then you've got to spend money for parking. I think that's really crazy.

00:14:20 - 00:14:26 | Speaker 2:

How do they do that? They should have some kind of a thing where, you know how they always validate or something like that?

00:14:26 - 00:14:28 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. They should figure that out. Yeah, right, right.

00:14:29 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 2:

They do that in Chicago, where my son lives in Chicago, to go to the Target in Lincoln Park, you have to pay for parking. And that makes no sense, too, you know what I mean? It's kind of idiotic. but yeah i had a parking ticket yeah by the way you can tell that you are from gross point because you called it kroger's you added the s at the end of the kroger oh no i'm from roseville okay that even more so uh there's nothing parking

00:15:00 - 00:15:13 | Speaker 3:

meters instead of parking meter. I, for some reason, have found that I add an S to the end of anything that goes on here, including the fact that it sucks that you have to pay for the parking meter stuff, so it sucks.

00:15:14 - 00:15:15 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, absolutely.

00:15:15 - 00:15:39 | Speaker 3:

Thank you for the call. Take care of yourself. Thanks. For some reason, I always feel like the cities with the parking meters are, and then they have the meter person that's in a golf cart driving around. Have you ever seen that at all? And the person that's the parking meter person seems like it's the person that got, like, picked on or something, like, when they were younger and they're just taking it out on you.

00:15:39 - 00:15:41 | Speaker 2:

They got a personal vendetta for revenge.

00:15:41 - 00:16:01 | Speaker 3:

It's when you drive around these cities where the parking person is there, they will be as bold to write you a ticket even if they see you getting into your car. Yeah. Like, they don't care. And then a buddy was telling me about this because I told somebody last night, I'm like, I'm like, hey, you know, this happened to us during the day.

00:16:02 - 00:16:06 | Speaker 4:

Honest to God. Oh, my God. Did you do that on purpose? You did.

00:16:06 - 00:16:45 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. So a buddy of mine was telling me that they'll chalk your tires so that they actually will do the, you know. Did they do that? Yeah, he said that in, I think it was Birmingham or Royal Oak, they chalk the tires to tell if it's the person that should be in that parking spot, because what ends up happening is you'll get a guy like me that will max out, and I will max out the parking and then leave there after, you know, whatever time, and there's like two hours left on the green thing on there, and people will pull right back in it, seeing the green thing on there, and then they'll notice that there's no chalk on there.

00:16:45 - 00:17:04 | Speaker 4:

They used to chalk tires when I lived in Atlanta, and then they would boot your car, you know? Oh, really? But the thing that blows my mind about that, like in a Birmingham or Royal Oak or Ferndale, Grosse Pointe, wherever, is like, who cares if you're there back to bed? Like, you're still paying. They're still making the same amount of money. I don't get it. I don't know. I'm missing something.

00:17:04 - 00:17:17 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. Then, Mike and Megan, you guys probably don't see this as much, but in Royal Oak, they think backing into parking spots makes it more efficient. have you guys been Megan you might have

00:17:17 - 00:17:19 | Speaker 4:

I spent a lot of time in Royal Oak

00:17:19 - 00:17:26 | Speaker 3:

but you can't pull in face forward you have to back into the parking spots

00:17:26 - 00:17:55 | Speaker 2:

it is the dumbest thing well here's the story it's not as crazy as hazard lights and putting my hood up but I went to New York a couple of years ago and I was around Madison Square Garden and if you've ever been to New York it's hell trying to find a place to park so I see this little area where the orange caution cones are And I say, hmm, that looks like a good place to park. So I go over there. I move the caution cones. I park. And then when I come back later, I put the caution cones back so I can have my parking spot.

00:17:55 - 00:18:14 | Speaker 3:

Wow. And it was there. And nobody did anything. Nobody parked there. Because I see that all the time where they'll put things on the meter saying that you can't park there. Yeah. And I often wondered why somebody doesn't just start parking there and take all the things off the meters. You know, they'll do that to kind of like block the spots. Wouldn't it be nice to just have your own cone? I thought about that.

00:18:14 - 00:18:16 | Speaker 2:

Like, let me just carry a cone in the truck with you.

00:18:16 - 00:18:24 | Speaker 3:

Anybody that works in a construction company that can just send us a bunch of cones to see if we can get one of those. Do they sell those at, like, Ace Hardware or whatever?

00:18:25 - 00:18:29 | Speaker 4:

Amazon has everything. Come on. You don't need to buy those. You can just take them, right?

00:18:31 - 00:18:33 | Speaker 3:

You pay taxes, they're yours. Right.

00:18:33 - 00:18:35 | Speaker 4:

We did have our felony tree, remember?

00:18:36 - 00:18:36 | Speaker 3:

That's true.

00:18:36 - 00:18:38 | Speaker 4:

Our Christmas tree made out of construction.

00:18:40 - 00:18:43 | Speaker 1:

You have a chance to win coming up at 830. What do you got in this hour's dirty?

00:21:44 - 00:22:24 | Speaker 2:

Well, Ariana Maddox from Vanderpump Rules is still living under the same roof as her ex-boyfriend, Tom Sandoval. And if you're going, wait a minute, I saw photos and videos of her moving box after box out of the home they share. And there was a U-Haul truck parked in the driveway. Well, no, let me debunk this for you. That was just a clever way for her to make some money off of the scandoval. Ariana has not moved out. her carrying boxes out of the house with some friends was just sponsored content paparazzi even took photos while ariana carried boxes labeled finances out of the house she explained

00:22:24 - 00:22:32 | Speaker 3:

on instagram i'm moving up not out well not yet at least it's time to get my financial house in

00:22:32 - 00:24:05 | Speaker 2:

order i will have more to share with you very very soon so they are still living together at this point sean mendez and camila cabello are still going strong they were holding hands during a little coffee date in new york city this week their latest date comes a few weeks after they went to a comedy show at hollywood improv in la together where they were spotted making out before making their way over to the sunset tower hotel in west hollywood again they dated for two years before breaking up in 2021 i believe and then they reunited at kotella last month former american idol winner samantha diaz she was known as just sam on the show is back to singing in new york city subways for money just three years removed from winning idol back in 2020 sam says she's backed and making her living off of the cash and change people leave in her donation box So she posted and deleted something She won She said she was super embarrassed To be going back to the trains And she was like you know I didn't want to let people know That I legit needed the money And she said I was disappointed in myself For allowing myself to fall so low After winning American Idol But then I had to take it easy on myself And remember I started that journey With Idol at 20 years old And she's just essentially saying I have a lot of lessons left to learn, and for now, this is what's going to keep me afloat.

00:24:05 - 00:24:22 | Speaker 1:

I have to tell you that I'd love to see somebody, because I honestly, to be perfectly honest with you, I'm too lazy to do the research on this, I'd like to see somebody go and look at the winners of shows like American Idol, The Voice, America's Got Talent, and see if it does anything for their careers.

00:24:23 - 00:24:29 | Speaker 2:

Isn't it like there are more successful non-winners of American Idol than winners? For the most part, I think you're right.

00:24:29 - 00:24:43 | Speaker 1:

And there was that contestant that was just on The Voice that everybody was going crazy about, 19-year-old Grace West, who... Spoiler alert. Huh? Oh, I don't know anything about it. Oh, because they just had the finale.

00:24:43 - 00:24:47 | Speaker 2:

No, they just had the finale. I didn't know if you were going to say whether she won or not.

00:24:47 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, well, you talk about that, but I don't know, but I just saw that everybody's talking about her being from Michigan and stuff. And I always wonder about that, because remember, we became really good friends with Josh Grayson. Yeah. And honestly, I haven't.

00:25:00 - 00:25:10 | Speaker 3:

Talked to him a while, but he didn't win the show. But, again, he became, like, a fairly decent, like, country music artist. And then you had Carrie Underwood. I don't think she won, did she? Or maybe she did. I don't know.

00:25:10 - 00:25:12 | Speaker 5:

I think Carrie did win. She did win. Yeah. I think she won.

00:25:12 - 00:25:26 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I mean, I feel like there's only, like, a handful of them that truly become, like, bonafide superstars, you know? Yeah. I mean, what's her name? Fantasia's. We love Fantasia. No, who's the one that has the talk show during the day?

00:25:27 - 00:25:29 | Speaker 5:

Oh, Jennifer Hudson. She did not win. She didn't win.

00:25:29 - 00:25:34 | Speaker 3:

She never won, and she became... She wasn't even the runner-up. ...big movie star, and, you know...

00:25:34 - 00:25:40 | Speaker 4:

Oh, she went out, like, 12 or something. What about, like, Daughtry? Yeah, and Daughtry did really well for himself.

00:25:40 - 00:25:45 | Speaker 3:

Oh, what do you think that that... Adam Lambert? What do you think that that gray-haired dude... Taylor Hicks. Taylor Hicks is doing these days.

00:25:45 - 00:25:50 | Speaker 5:

He was on Broadway for a while. He might still be on Broadway. Did Scotty McCreary win?

00:25:51 - 00:25:51 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

00:25:51 - 00:25:52 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

00:25:52 - 00:25:56 | Speaker 3:

Was he big? Did he do anything at all? Country. Yeah, I was going to say he was big.

00:25:56 - 00:26:00 | Speaker 1:

Kelly Clarkson won, right? Oh, yeah. Kelly Clarkson. First season. The first winner. There we go.

00:26:00 - 00:26:20 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. And lastly, the Tic Tac account for a Dairy Queen right here in Selby Township, Michigan, recently posted a video that has DQ fans up in arms. They're saying the cherry-flavored cone dip, my absolute favorite, is being discontinued.

00:26:20 - 00:26:37 | Speaker 2:

I love coming on here to tell you guys when Dairy Queen has a new product, but unfortunately today I have some bad news, and I feel like a lot of people will be upset about this. I don't know when or if it's returning, but Dairy Queen is discontinuing their cherry cone dip. It's already sold out in our warehouse, so once we deplete the inventory in the store, it will be sold out until further notice.

00:26:38 - 00:26:45 | Speaker 5:

Wow. So that video has like 4 million views on TikTok. I still have not gotten to the bottom of whether it's true.

00:26:46 - 00:26:51 | Speaker 3:

Huh, I don't know. Chocolate dip's safe, though, right? I think you're good with chocolate.

00:26:51 - 00:26:53 | Speaker 5:

Who gets the chocolate dip? You've got to get the cherry dip.

00:26:54 - 00:26:57 | Speaker 3:

Wait, did you try the churro one yet?

00:26:57 - 00:26:58 | Speaker 5:

No.

00:26:58 - 00:27:05 | Speaker 3:

They have churro dip right now. Oh, really? That is, like, really, really good. Yeah, try it. If you like churros, you'll like this. Oh, yeah, I love churros.

00:27:05 - 00:27:07 | Speaker 4:

Is DQ, like, big in Detroit?

00:27:07 - 00:27:09 | Speaker 3:

Yes. Why do you not have DQs in Toledo? We do.

00:27:10 - 00:27:11 | Speaker 4:

It's just I wouldn't say that popular.

00:27:12 - 00:27:15 | Speaker 3:

Really? Yeah. Who do you like better than DQ in the summertime?

00:27:15 - 00:27:17 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I'm a Mr. Freeze girl.

00:27:17 - 00:27:19 | Speaker 3:

Oh, see, we don't have Mr. Freeze around here.

00:27:19 - 00:27:25 | Speaker 4:

We do have a lot of, like, neighborhood-y ones, too. Yeah, that's what Mr. Freeze is. Yeah. There's a lot of local here.

00:27:25 - 00:27:28 | Speaker 5:

Bob Joes, Clarks, Dairy Mat, all those kinds of ones, too.

00:27:28 - 00:27:36 | Speaker 4:

I only know of one Dairy Queen. I'm sure there's more, but it's out in BG. But, like, I don't know. I wouldn't know where to find a DQ.

00:27:36 - 00:27:44 | Speaker 3:

DQ is the greatest, and there's always a controversy because they always want them to carry, like, food. And, honestly, who goes to DQ to go get food?

00:27:44 - 00:27:45 | Speaker 5:

I've never had food from a Dairy Queen.

00:27:45 - 00:27:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, DQ is like Starbucks here. Like, there's one around every one. Yeah, yeah. It's like going to the lakes, you know, and afterwards, you've got to go have one. Yeah. I feel like if you order food from a DQ, there better be a bathroom nearby. Wow.

00:27:59 - 00:28:00 | Speaker 5:

You think it's been there for a while?

00:28:00 - 00:28:01 | Speaker 3:

Just don't trust it.

00:28:02 - 00:28:05 | Speaker 5:

Ashley? Hello? Hi. Mom. Hi. How you doing? Are you Ashley's mom? Yes, I am. How are you? Pretty good. How about you? Good. I'm a police officer that pulled your daughter over. Yeah. Yeah, just telling me. Now, is this your vehicle? Yeah, she has my vehicle because hers is in the shop. Oh, boy. When's the last time you guys got this thing washed? Holy ****. I live out in the country, so. Oh, okay.

00:42:52 - 00:42:59 | Speaker 2:

I don't know how they do it out in the country, but here in the city, we don't drive while impaired. Your daughter seems like she's a little off.

00:43:02 - 00:43:05 | Speaker 4:

She's not impaired, but...

00:43:05 - 00:43:08 | Speaker 2:

She says that she was celebrating her birthday.

00:43:10 - 00:43:14 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, she just basically woke up, and she was on her way to get her boyfriend.

00:43:15 - 00:43:16 | Speaker 2:

You know that for a fact?

00:43:16 - 00:43:17 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

00:43:17 - 00:43:18 | Unknown:

Okay.

00:43:19 - 00:43:27 | Speaker 2:

But the boyfriend's a little out of control. We pulled him over, and when we asked him to step out of the car, the boyfriend was pantless.

00:43:28 - 00:43:29 | Speaker 4:

Was pantless?

00:43:30 - 00:43:39 | Speaker 2:

Yep, no pants. Just underwear. Do you want to ask your daughter what the heck that's all about? I'll put her back on the phone here.

00:43:40 - 00:43:41 | Speaker 4:

Uh, sure.

00:43:41 - 00:43:48 | Speaker 2:

Okay, hold on one second, okay? Your mom wants to talk to you about your situation. Go ahead.

00:43:49 - 00:43:54 | Speaker 4:

Mom, where are you? Why was he pantless? Were you guys having sex?

00:43:55 - 00:43:56 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

00:43:58 - 00:44:02 | Speaker 2:

I'm sorry. Mom, I'm sorry. Let me grab the phone one more time for me. Ma'am? Yes?

00:44:02 - 00:44:03 | Speaker 4:

This is the officer right now.

00:44:04 - 00:44:09 | Speaker 2:

Ma'am, the thing I didn't tell you about, he was not only pantless, but he was also wearing women's underwear.

00:44:11 - 00:44:16 | Speaker 4:

Okay. You know what? I am going to have you talk to my lawyer.

00:44:17 - 00:44:17 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you have a lawyer?

00:44:17 - 00:44:20 | Speaker 4:

I do. I work in a law office.

00:44:20 - 00:44:35 | Speaker 2:

Oh, boy. Oh, boy, then I should probably have said you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You also have a right to know that you've been on the Mojo in the Morning Show, Five Lies to Tell Your Mom.

00:44:38 - 00:44:38 | Speaker 4:

Brat.

00:44:40 - 00:44:48 | Speaker 1:

I really expected you in the morning using me a brat. I love that you lawyered up right away. I did. I worked as a lawyer.

00:44:48 - 00:44:55 | Speaker 2:

Ashley, why did you tell us she works in a law firm? You got me scared when you said that you got your lawyer there.

00:44:55 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 4:

I do. I have like a team of lawyers around me right now. Holy crap.

00:45:00 - 00:45:02 | Speaker 2:

crap. What kind of law we practice in there?

00:45:02 - 00:45:04 | Speaker 4:

We practice just about everything.

00:45:04 - 00:45:10 | Speaker 2:

At any point, were you doubting the story, or is this so believable that your daughter could get herself into this guy?

00:45:10 - 00:45:11 | Speaker 4:

It's a little bit believable, yeah.

00:45:14 - 00:45:17 | Speaker 2:

Even believable about Vince wearing women's underwear?

00:45:17 - 00:45:30 | Speaker 4:

That's the part I'm laughing at. Well, you know, things are going. Who knew what his fetishes might be? So... But happy birthday, honey. I love you. Thank you.

00:45:31 - 00:45:32 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:45:34 - 00:45:34 | Unknown:

Sweet.

00:45:35 - 00:45:50 | Speaker 1:

Five lies to tell your mom. Whew. I checked your phone and confirmed you were cheating on me. What a relief. I thought I was insane. Another world-famous War of the Roses happens tomorrow morning at 7 and 9 on Mojo in the Morning.

00:45:50 - 00:47:19 | Speaker 2:

mojo in the morning uh phone number 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 that is the phone number text is 95500 uh good to have you guys here with us today it's uh mojo shannon megan mike kev kp lydia and i got a lot to get to this morning but uh first we have to settle a debate that's going on right now a little argument happening sibling argument happening between megan and sean her brother and the argument is over whether or not this will look ugly in megan's backyard and there is going to be a little bit of something to my answer on this one and that something is going to be if you eventually ever invite us over to your house no that will be my deciding factor because cav you're new you don't know this megan will never invite us to her house as a collective or like not at all like even just whatever doesn't make a difference doesn't I went and picked her up one time at her house. Guess what? I went to the bus stop down the street at the end of the main road. No, actually, she let me go to the driveway, so I did see the driveway.

00:47:19 - 00:47:42 | Speaker 3:

I was waiting on the porch. You at least got that when I was down in Toledo. Remember, Megan? You were like, I'll meet you at the restaurant. That is absolutely correct. What's the reason behind this? What's the back story? Because I'm embarrassed of my house. It's not nice, and I don't want people to come over and see it. You live in a trap house? Pretty much. No, you do not.

00:47:43 - 00:47:54 | Speaker 2:

She lives in a very nice house. I've seen her house when we've done Zooms and Teams meetings and things like that. I've been in a few trap houses, Megan, so I'll be fine.

00:47:54 - 00:48:01 | Speaker 3:

I mean, if you went to BGSU, you know that Mac House Floor 2 was the trap house of that campus, and I spent a lot of my time there.

00:48:01 - 00:48:08 | Speaker 2:

But if Megan gets her way, she can make her house look so much better, or her brother doesn't think so. With what?

00:48:08 - 00:49:39 | Speaker 3:

Well, I really, really want an above-ground pool. Hear me out here. I love that you just glazed right past that to give us the reasons why this is okay. Because Kev needs to know something before we move on here. And if you're new to the show, maybe you need to learn this as well. That I grew up in a nice part of Chalita. I grew up in Sylvania. you should have your pinky up when you said it absolutely but you need to know that we were the trash of sylvania and we were the reason why all of our neighbors hated us and it was just like we've always been trash okay we've always been those people with cars all over the place it's just who we are and you can't change us so when i moved into my current house the biggest mission we had was to not be the trash of the neighborhood and my brother thinks that if we get this above ground pool that we are quickly going to start filling our yard with all sorts of different things which would take us right back to the path of being the neighbors nobody wants and so he's very cognizant of the fact that like we don't really spend a lot of time outside because we don't want to be loud and annoy people and we don't want to be you know a disturbance and he thinks that if we get a pool that's going to be the case but i just i really want to pull so we literally were like we never really have serious fights we were yelling at each other yesterday about this because i was like it's in the car i'm gonna buy it and he started doing the whole well i'm not going to set it up so you're just going to have a box of a pool for eight years

00:49:39 - 00:49:56 | Speaker 2:

and i was like well that's is this one of those inflatable like big part of pools that they have Because when I think of in-ground pools, I think of we had a neighbor that had an in-ground pool. And it was like a professionally done in-ground pool that had a deck and everything.

00:49:56 - 00:49:57 | Speaker 4:

She's talking about above.

00:49:57 - 00:49:58 | Speaker 2:

I'm sorry, an above. I'm sorry, an above-ground pool.

00:49:59 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 3:

So this is like.

00:50:00 - 00:50:57 | Speaker 2:

part inflatable, part it has like an exoskeleton. Oh. That's right. I can describe it. Where did you get that from? Amazon, baby. You can find anything on Amazon. Okay. So at the end of the year, you take it down? I don't. Well, you're probably supposed to. Or at the end of the summer. I absolutely would not. This is me. Absolutely not. That's way too much work. So what I've done is because he wouldn't set it up and I was trying to bribe him and he was like, I'm never going to set it up for you. You're going to have to hire somebody else to do it. And we both know I'm too lazy to do that I got very spiteful and instead I ordered like seven baby pools on Amazon to be delivered to the house because he was also really mad he takes care of the grass like the grass is his baby the yard is his thing he's very proud of it and he was like you're gonna kill my grass that I've worked three years on to shave blah blah blah so now I'm gonna kill as as much of his grass as I possibly can, because I'm vindictive, ow.

00:50:57 - 00:51:13 | Speaker 1:

I kind of like this. I honestly kind of like this, and I think that this might be able to get us invited to our house. No, it won't. For a pool party, guys. Absolutely. You don't think so, why? Who has a pool and doesn't have people over to enjoy it?

00:51:13 - 00:51:17 | Speaker 2:

No, I'd invite other people over. I wouldn't invite you guys over.

00:51:17 - 00:51:20 | Speaker 1:

Well, if you get the mini pools, we'll all have our very own.

00:51:20 - 00:51:27 | Speaker 2:

Exactly. Well, here's the problem. You'd have to go through my house to get to the pools, and nobody's going through my house.

00:51:27 - 00:51:36 | Speaker 1:

Do you ever do that? By the way, do you ever do that with the mini pools where you just sit on your driveway and you sun in the mini pool? That's when you know, by the way, that your neighbors hate you when you do that.

00:51:36 - 00:51:41 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's why I'm buying it, so thank you for reinforcing that I am the neighbor nobody wants.

00:51:42 - 00:51:49 | Speaker 1:

I'm looking at this. I'm looking at these pools. These pools look nice. How do you get into the pool, though? Do they have like a ladder? Yeah, baby.

00:51:49 - 00:51:56 | Speaker 2:

Peggy, all the neighbors got to watch my little booty up in the air trying to climb over a plastic rail. Sexy.

00:51:56 - 00:52:05 | Speaker 1:

Hold on a second. Peggy says there's a way to do this without upsetting your brother's beautiful lawn. What's that, Peggy?

00:52:06 - 00:52:11 | Speaker 3:

Does she have a driveway? Just get one of those big, not too deep, blow-up ones.

00:52:11 - 00:52:15 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's what she's kind of talking about getting anyway. Put it in the driveway, you're saying?

00:52:16 - 00:52:21 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but not a real deep one. One you can just lay in and get cooled off and have some sun.

00:52:21 - 00:52:25 | Speaker 1:

You can't jump into one of the driveway ones, though. You'll break your neck on the driveway.

00:52:26 - 00:52:28 | Speaker 3:

That's correct. Don't you want to jump in it or just lay in it?

00:52:28 - 00:52:40 | Speaker 2:

I just want to lay and tan. But here's the thing. My brother was like, get a lawn chair, tan. I hate the summer, and I hate being hot. I need to be in water. Yeah, I have to be in water.

00:52:40 - 00:52:47 | Speaker 3:

Look out, they're like just so big, like maybe two feet deep, just enough to get in it and lay in it.

00:52:48 - 00:52:53 | Speaker 1:

How many people can you fit in it, though? That's the thing. You want to be able to have a couple in there.

00:52:53 - 00:52:55 | Speaker 3:

It depends on what size you get. They have all sizes.

00:52:56 - 00:53:02 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Is that, by the way, more WT to have it in your driveway?

00:53:03 - 00:53:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, then my neighbors can see me. Really? Well, then that's, if you don't have a deck or anything. Well, just accept the fact that you're white trash, all right? Take a look at yourself.

00:53:14 - 00:53:38 | Speaker 1:

I mean, I don't know. I think that that might upset some of the neighbors. First off, they never see Megan, and then all of a sudden it's like going from never seeing her to now she's having pool parties on her driveway. Well, how Midwest is it, too, that you're so worried about upsetting your neighbors by being outside? That is true. Donnie, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning. What do you think about this? Megan wants to get an above-ground pool.

00:53:39 - 00:53:42 | Speaker 4:

Hi, good morning. I just want to say, first off, welcome to the show, Kev.

00:53:43 - 00:53:43 | Speaker 1:

Appreciate it.

00:53:45 - 00:53:49 | Speaker 4:

And I just say, Megan, don't do it. Who's going to take care of it?

00:53:50 - 00:53:50 | Unknown:

Oh, yeah.

00:53:51 - 00:54:16 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I'd like to say, me, but we all know that's not going to happen. But if I don't spend that much money. He doesn't want any more. Yes, yes, but hear me out. Hear me out. Think of the clicks I could get on a YouTube video. I'm so sick of it that I slashed the side. It floods all the neighbor's yards. and then it just kind of deteriorates. Well, it's plastic. It just sits in the backyard for years. Instead of

00:54:16 - 00:54:20 | Speaker 4:

buying a pool, put that money towards your student loan. No!

00:54:20 - 00:54:21 | Speaker 2:

How dare you?

00:54:21 - 00:54:29 | Speaker 1:

How dare you? By the way, Donnie, thank you, by the way, for keeping her on the straight and narrow. I know you're a fan.

00:54:29 - 00:54:31 | Speaker 2:

We love you, Donnie. I love you guys.

00:54:32 - 00:55:29 | Speaker 1:

Take care of yourself. You know what the craziest is with having a pool like this? it becomes the polar plunge in the beginning because when you're filling it up and it's cold and then it doesn't warm up for days maybe weeks and then you got to start thinking about chlorine and stuff because you don't want it to like turn brown and ugly and it becoming like a pond i mean there's a lot of things that go into this mark what are your thoughts on this Thank you.

00:55:00 - 00:55:19 | Speaker 2:

My thoughts are she should definitely not get the pool. Like you just said, there's chemicals you have to put in every week. You have to constantly be cleaning it. There's water bugs that I didn't even know that live in your pool if you don't have the right chlorine in it. After half a year of having it, we tore it down and never put it back up. Well, is it for sale?

00:55:19 - 00:55:21 | Speaker 3:

Because I know someone who will buy it.

00:55:22 - 00:55:24 | Speaker 2:

No, you don't have it anymore.

00:55:24 - 00:55:38 | Speaker 8:

But, but, but, think about this, though. think if Megan gets one of these things, gets one of these like pools, it will get her outside more off of her couch and stop and watch all these documentaries. No, no, no. I just watch them

00:55:38 - 00:55:44 | Speaker 2:

on my phone outside. If Megan gets this pool, she's going to be breeding bugs all season. Oh, yeah. The mosquitoes

00:55:44 - 00:55:46 | Speaker 1:

will be bad if it just sits out there.

00:55:47 - 00:55:48 | Speaker 2:

And the water bug?

00:55:48 - 00:55:51 | Speaker 8:

Yes, yes. Yeah, that's... I never thought about that.

00:55:52 - 00:55:58 | Speaker 4:

Okay. What if I bought like 7,000 pounds of salt and just turned it into one of those floating pools. I don't think it works like that.

00:55:59 - 00:56:04 | Speaker 8:

Well, it's my stranger thing. Marlene says a better idea than a pool is what?

00:56:05 - 00:56:23 | Speaker 7:

Good morning, lovelies. Good morning. I say, I stopped with the boo thing, so now you guys are my lovelies. I say get a hot tub because pretty soon you are going to be of the age where no matter what, the pool water is going to be too cold and you're not going to want to get in. It doesn't matter.

00:56:23 - 00:56:27 | Speaker 8:

I've always thought a hot tub would be fun Wouldn't that be fun, Megan?

00:56:28 - 00:56:40 | Speaker 7:

And you can use it all year round That's true You can have company over at night And you can get a laptop and put it next to it And still watch your Netflix And chill in the hot tub

00:56:40 - 00:56:47 | Speaker 8:

Think about this, Megan I think Sean would want the hot tub Your brother would want the hot tub Then he and his girlfriend can sit there and hot tub together

00:56:47 - 00:56:48 | Speaker 3:

Then Megan's not getting it after

00:56:48 - 00:57:14 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely not And it's easier update okay yes agreed but i think you think i'm in a different tax bracket than i am and my job's very expensive okay so they have the blow-up ones at casco that's what i'm talking about here's the thing you forget that my house was built in 1944 wiring terrible you don't think i actually already looked into this i have to pay an electrician to fix my wiring to get a hot tub It's expensive

00:57:14 - 00:57:24 | Speaker 7:

But the upkeep of a pool Over the years Will be way more expensive Than the upkeep of Atlanta But I'm not going to upkeep it

00:57:24 - 00:57:33 | Speaker 8:

It's like everything You buy it and you use it once And then that's pretty much it What's going on Courtney?

00:57:35 - 00:57:58 | Speaker 5:

Hi It's Megan's future best friend Courtney I'm sorry Anyways, I support Megan getting a pool, first of all. You can make your brother clean it. Also, if you don't want to do, like, an above-ground pool, we are looking into getting one at Walmart. I think they're out there for, like, $50 or $60. And they have, like, chairs in them that you can sit in.

00:57:58 - 00:58:03 | Speaker 3:

It's inflatable. What? We're all on Walmart.com right now. That happened real fast.

00:58:03 - 00:58:13 | Speaker 5:

It's pretty big. And my 2-year-old, like, goes crazy in her little baby pool. So I was like, let's get her something bigger. And I found one with like four seats And I was like yep let's do it

00:58:13 - 00:58:14 | Speaker 8:

That's awesome

00:58:14 - 00:58:17 | Speaker 5:

Look at this thing

00:58:17 - 00:58:18 | Speaker 8:

This is fire

00:58:18 - 00:58:20 | Speaker 4:

Wait we're getting this

00:58:20 - 00:58:29 | Speaker 8:

And deal is That you won't be out that much money when your brother says He won't set it up for you Because you know you're going to need your brother to set it up for you

00:58:29 - 00:58:31 | Speaker 4:

Yeah let's be honest

00:58:31 - 00:58:36 | Speaker 8:

Jody says there's a better option to this And that is What should Megan do

00:58:36 - 00:58:58 | Speaker 6:

Hi I'm a first time caller Long-time listener. Yay. Megan, I completely understand. I love the sun. I'm also in Toledo. I hate being hot. There are so many apartment complexes, and you can just walk right up to them and act like you live there and hang out, and as soon as somebody questions you, you just find another one.

00:59:02 - 00:59:10 | Speaker 4:

What if we did this? What if we did the tour day apartment pools, and we get a group of people going, and we We just crashed pools all summer.

00:59:11 - 00:59:15 | Speaker 8:

Is this Jade? No, this is... Jodi? Jodi, yes.

00:59:15 - 00:59:30 | Speaker 6:

Jodi, you do this? Yeah, I have done it before. Yeah, where'd you go? Yeah, where have you gone? Oh, well, there's like Jamesford Plaza that has a great pool. There's another one over by UT that has a great one.

00:59:31 - 00:59:35 | Speaker 8:

What do you do when people come up to you and ask you what apartment you live in?

00:59:36 - 00:59:37 | Speaker 6:

Oh, nobody does. Nobody cares.

00:59:37 - 00:59:45 | Speaker 1:

I feel like it's the club mentality. You just walk in like you own the place. You know what you're doing. You know everybody. Nobody's going to question you.

00:59:45 - 00:59:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but I'm going to go hang out where the college kids are swimming. Absolutely not. That would hurt my soul.

00:59:51 - 00:59:51 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:59:51 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 4:

Are you scouting these places or are you just popping up? Well, I mean, this was a few years ago when I did it, like pre-COVID.

01:00:00 - 01:00:05 | Speaker 1:

I was a little younger, you know, but now I have friends with pools, but, um, by the

01:00:05 - 01:00:10 | Speaker 4:

way, that might be the better option for Megan, friends with pools. Let's just find them.

01:00:11 - 01:00:14 | Speaker 1:

There are some, you can pay like a small fee, like $2 to go.

01:00:14 - 01:00:21 | Speaker 4:

Do you ever notice, by the way, friends with pools and friends with boats, and you only call them around this time of the year, right?

01:00:21 - 01:00:37 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the morning on iHeartRadio. Now, number one for podcasts. Listen to the Mojo in the morning show on iHeartRadio. And if you want to really have fun, listen to the More Mojo Podcast. It's rated R fun with Mojo in the Morning.

01:00:39 - 01:00:44 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. What's going on, Shannon? What do you got in this hour's dirty?

01:00:44 - 01:02:08 | Speaker 5:

Well, according to new legal documents, Gap wants Kanye West to pay for any and all damages that they might incur in a lawsuit they're currently facing. And essentially, Gap feels like Kanye and his company are responsible for putting them in this big mess. So they're suing him for more than $2 million. Now, let me explain the backstory here of how this all came up. So Gap is being sued by Art City Center, which is a company that owns a building in downtown L.A. that was leased to Gap. It was going to be a storefront for Kanye's Yeezy clothing line. So this Art City Center company said the building underwent a ton of unapproved renovations, And they're suing Gap over the cost to restore the premises back to what they originally were. Gap now trying to get Kanye to pay for all of that. Make sense? Yeah. So, remember, Kanye pulled the plug in his partnership with Gap back in the fall, claiming they, you know, didn't live up to all of these things that they had promised him. So now Gap's out the money, but they're saying, no, you're paying for this, yay. twilight alum taylor lautner in the dirty this morning for firing back at some very recent online criticism over his appearance he was sharing some of the hurtful comments including comments saying he did not age well and he's doing this as a way to have an open dialogue

01:02:08 - 01:02:33 | Speaker 2:

about mental health those comments are all from one single post which is crazy but that's the world we live in and there's only so much we can do to change it if this was 10 years ago five years ago maybe even two three years ago that really would have died under my skin and the reason it affected me as much as he did is because my value was in the wrong thing if

01:02:33 - 01:02:40 | Speaker 4:

taylor lautner hasn't aged well then what in the world my god he's great looking very very well

01:02:40 - 01:02:46 | Speaker 5:

But he said, you know, he said he's no longer in an unhealthy position where he focuses on the wrong things.

01:02:46 - 01:03:05 | Speaker 2:

And I'm just so thankful that I am in the place I am today where I can see that. And I'm not going to lie. I'm not going to say it doesn't doesn't bug me. I wouldn't be on here posting this video if it didn't bother me at all. But it doesn't make me question who I am. And it doesn't take anything away from me.

01:03:05 - 01:03:13 | Speaker 5:

He said his biggest point is to just think about and remember where you put your value in life. And also, just be nice. It's really simple. It's not that hard.

01:03:14 - 01:03:21 | Speaker 4:

I mean, you've got to be a really angry MF-er if you're going after Taylor Lautner's looks. Right? Right? Not a lot going on.

01:03:21 - 01:03:57 | Speaker 5:

From one Taylor to another, Taylor Swift's new boyfriend, Maddie Healy, is getting ready to write some music for her new album. Might even be singing on one of the tracks. Sources are telling me they are getting ready to head into the recording studio soon, and it's going to be a tight fit in terms of schedules with her on the Ares tour, the 1975. Maddie's band is also doing some touring, but they're going to make it happen. And one source is telling me that he is really wanting to have a proper collab with the whole band involved. That's the only way Maddie will ever do this. He feels like he's got to earn it.

01:03:57 - 01:04:01 | Speaker 4:

All right, so this is where I start getting my conspiracy theorist mind in.

01:04:01 - 01:04:01 | Speaker 5:

Yep.

01:04:01 - 01:04:06 | Speaker 4:

And start thinking that this is just a set-up relationship just for music purposes.

01:04:06 - 01:04:11 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. That would make more sense to a lot of people because of his background.

01:04:12 - 01:04:47 | Speaker 4:

The people that she's in relationships with, she usually keeps out of her work life. Like, doesn't really, like, bring them into the... Except for Joe Alwyn. I mean, he obviously wrote with her. Okay, I guess. All right. So maybe I'm wrong on this. But I don't know. I just, when I saw that, I thought that he was writing. I'm going, this is way too soon for him to be doing that. Unless it was already in the works and maybe, okay, here's my other conspiracy mind. They were pulling around with each other while he was doing the writing and it had been going on longer than we know about. And that's what ended their last relationship.

01:04:47 - 01:04:50 | Speaker 2:

I love this version of you. Isn't it? I'm here for it.

01:04:50 - 01:04:53 | Speaker 4:

You have rubbed off on me. You have. You have.

01:04:53 - 01:05:00 | Speaker 5:

And lastly, the Netflix password-sharing crackdown has officially begun in the United States.

01:05:00 - 01:05:35 | Speaker 3:

States. Do you love me? I love you. The days of sharing your account with your bestie to binge Bridgerton or Stranger Things are over. Say it again. I dare you to say it again. After warning for quite some time, Netflix is officially cracking down on password sharing. I don't like this, Christy. Wake up. The streaming giant sending this reminder to customers that says a Netflix account is for use by one household. Everyone living in that household can use Netflix wherever they are at home on the go on holiday and take advantage of new features like transfer profile

01:05:35 - 01:05:46 | Speaker 1:

and manage access and devices. Netflix is going to be looking at users IP addresses to determine where they're sitting at any particular moment not to gather geographic data for other purposes.

01:05:47 - 01:06:12 | Speaker 3:

At one point the company estimated 100 million people worldwide were freeloading using someone else's password. For someone who lives outside your household their profile can be converted to a new membership that they pay for or you can shell out an additional $7.99 a month to keep them on your account. Analysts have long said this could set a new standard. Whatever Netflix decides to do

01:06:12 - 01:06:19 | Speaker 2:

probably a lot of other services are going to emulate that in some way. Home is where your heart

01:06:19 - 01:06:35 | Speaker 5:

is Netflix so shut up. Yeah well so you have two options if you want to share your account with somebody who doesn't live with you you can transfer their profile to a new membership or you can share your Netflix account for an additional $8 monthly fee. And like you just heard, Netflix said they're going to start blocking devices that attempt to access an account without properly paying.

01:06:35 - 01:06:41 | Speaker 6:

You've got kids like we have, you know, son at college. We're going to have next year two sons at college, and they go to different schools.

01:06:41 - 01:06:45 | Speaker 5:

So you've got that $8 a month is what it's going to cost you. I understand.

01:06:46 - 01:07:07 | Speaker 4:

It's also not taking into account all of the, what's the word I'm looking for, old people, like my father, who are maybe not as technologically savvy, and all of their stuff is just hooked up to mine because he doesn't get it. So now I have to pay... Oh, this is so annoying. Netflix is so dumb. Really dumb. For real. For real.

01:07:08 - 01:07:10 | Speaker 5:

For all of today's already, check out the Dirty page at mojointhemorning.com.

01:07:11 - 01:07:19 | Speaker 2:

Celebrity Dirt. Directly from the source. It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:07:20 - 01:07:24 | Speaker 6:

Alright, it is Mojo in the Morning. So what's up with Smith? What's going on?

01:07:24 - 01:08:52 | Speaker 5:

Oh, so we have been teaching my sweet almost six-year-old. He's going to be six next week, you guys, which is just mind-blowing to me. So crazy. But all about, like, you know, things that are healthy for you, things that are unhealthy for you. Excuse me. So one of the conversations was about smoking, right? Like, he's seen people smoking, and he's asked about it. Lucy, too. And so I've always just said, I've always been very upfront with them. that, you know, it's not healthy, and you can get lung cancer, and you can ultimately die from smoking. Well, one of my fiance's friends came over to my house, and she said to me, she came up to me and whispered, so the kids wouldn't hear her, is it okay if I, you know, go in your backyard and sneak a cigarette? And she's like, I don't normally smoke, but I'm away from my kids, and she was having a little drink, and she's like, I just want a smoky treat. Okay, that's what she'd So, okay, that's fine. Smokey treat. So, I told her, of course. Well, Smith was running around outside with, like, some sort of squirt gun or whatever while she was doing it. And apparently, I heard this story after the fact. Went up to her and very vehemently said, you know you're going to die from doing that, right? By the way, this is her first time meeting my sweet little boy, okay? Where do you get the cigarettes? Good for her. The cherry on top is after she was done, he walked back up to her and said, and you're not supposed to be littering, duh, because she threw her cigarette on the ground.

01:08:53 - 01:08:55 | Speaker 6:

Good for him. Did she rethink it then?

01:08:55 - 01:08:57 | Speaker 5:

No, she finished her smoky treat. She smoked it.

01:08:57 - 01:09:02 | Speaker 6:

If you call it a smoky treat, you probably already know it's going to not be good for you, right?

01:09:04 - 01:09:05 | Speaker 5:

Very literally taken.

01:09:05 - 01:09:32 | Speaker 6:

But I love when kids do literally take stuff and then they, you know, take it into that level, especially when they do it to you. You know, when you tell your kids that they've got to eat everything on their plate or that they need to do something, you know, dinner related. And then they see you doing something wrong and then they point it out to you. All the time. Because kids are so literal, especially his age. His age kids are like the most literal with things.

01:09:32 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 5:

I mean, it happens all the time with things, and I'm sure every mom or dad can relate. I always say to them, he always asks me, can you go get my shoes? Can you go upstairs and get my blanket? Can you go get this? I'm like, dude, I am not your maid. You are almost six years old. You can go upstairs and get your shoes or your blanket or whatever. So if I ask them, can you run in the house really quick? Like if we're in the car in the driveway yesterday. This is a great example. Lucy had lacrosse practice. Can you run in really quick and just grab the cleats from the laundry room? And he's like, I'm not your maid.

01:10:00 - 01:10:03 | Speaker 3:

I'm like, fair. Fair.

01:10:04 - 01:10:46 | Speaker 2:

By the way, on a totally different note, whenever I've had house guests that are smokers, it kind of drives me crazy. It's disgusting. I hate it because they go outside thinking that you're not going to be able to smell it inside, but you smell it inside. It just, no matter how far from the house, it's like it follows them. Even if they don't smell like smoke normally. Like I've had friends that have come and stayed with me And you know They were house guests for a couple of days And then the worst is this The worst is They'll make anything out of an ashtray You ever notice that with smokers? And then later I will find The Ice Mountain water bottle With a little bit of water in it And butts just sitting there

01:10:46 - 01:10:52 | Speaker 6:

And if they're staying the night at your house Your sheets and your bed or whatever Are going to smell like that

01:10:52 - 01:10:53 | Speaker 5:

And this is coming from a former smoker right?

01:10:53 - 01:10:58 | Speaker 6:

Yeah it's disgusting I have coats that I've had to throw away I've had tons of things It just never goes away

01:10:58 - 01:11:03 | Speaker 2:

And then the other thing is too I had this happen to me When Terry lived next door to me

01:11:03 - 01:11:05 | Speaker 5:

Oh I remember all your stories about Terry

01:11:05 - 01:11:27 | Speaker 2:

Terry the neighbor would go Hey is somebody smoking out there Because what happens is They go as far from your windows as possible But they go close to the neighbor's windows And next thing you know They're just sitting there smoking Which is kind of funny And then the neighbors are like What the hell is going on I think Tom and Chelsea are smokers That's when it ends up happening. What's going on, Jen?

01:11:29 - 01:11:34 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Mojo. Good morning, Shannon, Megan. Good morning. And you guys, Kevin. What up? And Mike.

01:11:34 - 01:11:36 | Speaker 1:

Don't forget about Mike, KP, Lydia.

01:11:37 - 01:11:53 | Speaker 5:

Mike's there today. Thanks, all here. Hi, Mike. Hi. We listen to you every morning, just so you know. Thank you. We appreciate it. So, Shannon. Yes. Here's what you need to do. When you say, can you go get me whatever, and they say, I'm not your maid, use this one. But your legs are younger than mine.

01:11:55 - 01:11:56 | Speaker 2:

I like that. Oh, Jen, that's good.

01:11:58 - 01:12:06 | Speaker 5:

That's what I do to my daughters whenever I'm like, can you go grab me? They're like, I'm not your maid. That's what I say to them. Then they're like, oh, and they go do it.

01:12:07 - 01:12:34 | Speaker 2:

You know what used to work all the time for me was whenever they said they weren't going to do it, I would go right to my phone. Yes. And I would, ready for this, what do you think I went on my phone and did? Stopwatch. No. Better than that. Okay. Better than that. Call Grandma. I would, no. Call Santa. I would go to my Xfinity app where I could shut off their device to be able to do anything with it. Anytime I pulled up my Xfinity app, I could actually shut off individual devices from ever being able to be used.

01:12:35 - 01:12:40 | Speaker 3:

Now, back in my day, my dad would just set the phone off the line and say, no internet for you.

01:12:41 - 01:12:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, unplug it, right?

01:12:43 - 01:12:47 | Speaker 3:

No, just like literally just leave the phone off of the thing.

01:12:47 - 01:12:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's right. I forgot about that. That was the old. Yeah. What's going on, Amanda?

01:12:52 - 01:13:01 | Speaker 4:

so my son always calls me out for cussing um and he will say mom f is a bad word

01:13:01 - 01:13:08 | Speaker 2:

uh and you and you're telling him not to to swear yeah i do not want him to really swear

01:13:08 - 01:13:21 | Speaker 6:

you know especially out in public but that'll happen to me but in the car so i'll say it like somebody will cut me off or i'll do something i'll go ah yes and then he'll go my son's three years old his name is milo he'll go ah yes and i'll go milo don't say that don't say that

01:13:21 - 01:13:29 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, the worst is when they say it in front of other people and then the other people think you're the worst parent ever.

01:13:29 - 01:13:32 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I go, Smith, you cannot let dad say that in front of you.

01:13:36 - 01:13:59 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning show. Oh, you know, I got time to do another topic before the end of the hour. I can get into this one right now. 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 Here's my question to ask Is the drunk you the real you?

01:14:00 - 01:14:00 | Speaker 5:

Yes

01:14:00 - 01:15:22 | Speaker 2:

Is alcohol a truth serum? And the reason I bring this up is I got a phone call from a person that used to work here at the radio station worked on one of the other radio shows she was uh one of the co-hosts and she called me up and she told me something very very interesting she was with a group of people sounded like she was having fun and having a party and we were on the phone talking for a while and all kind of like sitting there you know talking there's like about two or three other people with her where one of the other people was also somebody that I used to work with and in the midst of the conversation she said something that I actually kind of let it go past and then she came back and said something later by calling me back up but she said I always had a crush on you oh she said you were my radio crush and when she said that it kind of was like oh that's kind of cool I kind of like oh right great because she's very attractive and I go oh that's really cool Thanks a lot. All right, you guys have a great time. All right, hang up. Boom. Go back to sitting on the couch watching TV. A few moments later, I get a phone call back. I'm like, oh, she's calling me back again. What's this all about? There's a bunch of drunk people. Now it's where it's going to become annoying. Hello? And she says, I am so sorry I said that. I'm really drunk right now, and I just realized what I just said to you, and I can't believe I just said this and whatever.

01:15:22 - 01:15:23 | Speaker 4:

You can't take it back.

01:15:23 - 01:16:02 | Speaker 2:

And I go, no, no, no, no, don't do that to me, because I was really excited there for a second. Like, now you're going to take him back and tell me it was just the alcohol speaking. But here's the question. Is alcohol a truth serum? Is alcohol the thing that makes you come out and say the thing that you normally would not say? There was a study that said that alcohol actually is a truth serum. The drunk you is actually the real you. So when you say something while you're under the influence of having a little bit, you know, too much alcohol, maybe one or two too many.

01:16:02 - 01:16:04 | Speaker 4:

We're getting hammered.

01:16:04 - 01:16:10 | Speaker 2:

That actually could lead you to saying something that you really have wanted to say for a long time but never have had the courage to say.

01:16:11 - 01:16:13 | Speaker 4:

I don't think anybody would disagree with that.

01:16:13 - 01:16:18 | Speaker 2:

That I'm hot or? No. Ew. No.

01:16:18 - 01:16:44 | Speaker 4:

That alcohol is a trick zero. No, because I think some people are embarrassed about what comes out. I think some people are meaner. Some people are angrier. Right. Some people are nastier. But if you're being honest with yourself, you have to go. Yeah. Yeah, no, but I don't like it either because I'm a much nicer version of myself when I'm drunk, and I don't like that. You're a very emotional version of yourself. I'm so emotional when I'm drunk. I cry and I tell people that I love them.

01:16:44 - 01:17:09 | Speaker 2:

The funniest is when you're drunk and you say something and then you don't know about it until people told you that you said something or you did something. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I want you to call us up and tell us what did you say to someone that was really embarrassing when you were drunk or what was the truth that came out when you were having a little bit too much to drink.

01:17:09 - 01:17:11 | Speaker 1:

I was freaking drunk.

01:17:11 - 01:17:13 | Speaker 2:

And was it a truth serum for you?

01:17:13 - 01:17:24 | Speaker 1:

I got one, now that I can say it's been a few years I quit my job One time, drunk, very, very drunk What? Yeah, this was three bosses ago I'm not going to say the name

01:17:24 - 01:17:26 | Speaker 4:

This job, you quote unquote quit?

01:17:26 - 01:17:55 | Speaker 1:

Yes, oh yeah I'm not going to get into the details But this boss and I did not get along very well And it became very clear that They did not like me very much And I finally Was drunk one night, we went to a concert together and I said, you know what? I'm done. I'm over. I quit. I quit. I'm over this. I don't want to do this anymore. And the next morning I had to call and apologize. And I still don't think I was in the wrong, but I shouldn't have said that the way that I did. And I was very drunk when I

01:17:55 - 01:18:05 | Speaker 2:

did it. There are times, Mike, where you probably should not have a phone when you're drunk. Right. And one of them is when you're going through like a job type of a thing. Yeah, this was face to face.

01:18:05 - 01:18:18 | Speaker 1:

This was wow. Yeah. We were out in this person just kept berating me in front of like people that we had just met. And it was a constant with this person. And I got sick of it and finally just said, I'm over you like I'm done.

01:18:19 - 01:18:32 | Speaker 2:

And I walked away. Oh, think think about people that break up when they're drunk. They say something when they're they've had a little bit too much to drink. And it's probably not a good idea for them to do that. Mojo in the morning. What's up, Melissa?

01:18:33 - 01:18:35 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what's up, Moju?

01:18:35 - 01:18:39 | Speaker 2:

What's going on? You've got a party girl voice already here. What are you drinking?

01:18:39 - 01:18:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. I'm capital F-U-N, baby. It's just I cannot drink because I get a little too, I don't know, truth serum comes out. I start, you know, telling people what's wrong with them. And, oh, yeah, it's not good at all.

01:18:55 - 01:18:57 | Speaker 4:

What's the worst fallout you've ever had? One second.

01:18:57 - 01:18:58 | Speaker 2:

Hold on.

01:18:58 - 01:18:58 | Speaker 4:

Hold on.

01:18:59 - 01:19:11 | Speaker 2:

Hold on a second. Stop for one second. How did I know? So for those that missed it because we dumped it, we said, yeah, you really want to know? And she goes, I beat the spit out of somebody. We can't say that word on the radio, but.

01:19:11 - 01:19:18 | Speaker 3:

I beat the S out of my sister on an accident because she was on my nerves.

01:19:18 - 01:19:21 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Yeah. See, that's, by the way, that's called violent drunk.

01:19:22 - 01:19:27 | Speaker 3:

That's a little different. You ask my word. You want to know my fun times?

01:19:27 - 01:19:28 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you're fun. Give us your fun.

01:19:29 - 01:19:36 | Speaker 3:

Under the umbrella. And I will take your umbrella. I will walk across that bar, and I will just dance like I'm a stripper.

01:19:36 - 01:19:44 | Speaker 2:

Really? So your truth serum is you actually turn into a stripper when you're drunk. I like that. Kristen, what's going on?

01:19:45 - 01:19:56 | Speaker 3:

Oh, so we were all getting drunk one night in the backyard, and my roommate confessed that she wanted to hook up with me.

01:19:57 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I like that. Yeah. You didn't, though.

01:20:01 - 01:20:01 | Speaker 7:

Lesbian.

01:20:01 - 01:20:02 | Speaker 2:

Really?

01:20:02 - 01:20:10 | Speaker 7:

So how did the next morning look? It was hysterical because she had no idea what she said.

01:20:10 - 01:20:11 | Speaker 2:

Really?

01:20:12 - 01:20:17 | Speaker 7:

And then did she backpedal? So now between me and the other roommates, it's like a running joke in the house.

01:20:17 - 01:20:23 | Speaker 2:

Did you guys, like, just say, you know, okay, I'm going to bed, one of those type of things?

01:20:24 - 01:20:25 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, pretty much.

01:20:26 - 01:20:31 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. And the whole night, were you, like, sleeping with one eye open, thinking she was going to cuddle up with you in bed?

01:20:32 - 01:20:35 | Speaker 7:

No, she kind of passed out after that.

01:20:35 - 01:20:42 | Speaker 2:

Oh, thank God, by the way, when they pass out. That's when you've got to love that, especially when they tell you that they profess their love for you. What's going on, Sarah?

01:20:44 - 01:21:05 | Speaker 6:

Hi, guys. I was just curious. What type of alcohol was this study done with? Because if I drink tequila, I want to, like, jump on my husband. But if I drink whiskey, I get a little feisty and, you know, the little spitfire meat comes out.

01:21:06 - 01:21:17 | Speaker 2:

That's true. I don't know. They didn't specify the beverage that you were drinking. But I think that it depends, I guess, you know, what you do drink. By the way, you're a tequila drinker. Have you ever tried ranch water?

01:21:19 - 01:21:21 | Speaker 6:

I have not.

01:21:21 - 01:21:24 | Speaker 2:

Ranch water is like the big thing right now. Everybody's drinking.

01:21:24 - 01:21:26 | Speaker 6:

I keep hearing a bunch about that.

01:21:26 - 01:21:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's tequila. I don't like tequila, so I don't drink it. My wife will drink it, but it's tequila with a club soda or a tonic or something like that and then a bunch of lime juice in it.

01:21:38 - 01:21:39 | Speaker 7:

And you can get spicy ones.

01:21:40 - 01:21:45 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and then they put tahini on the rim. What's going on, Riley?

01:21:47 - 01:22:07 | Speaker 5:

Hi, so I called my ex-boyfriend one time, absolutely plastered, and I left him a really long voicemail. Well, I, to this day, don't know what this voicemail says, and apparently it was very, very mean. And every time I've seen him since this voicemail, he holds it over my head and won't tell me or show me the voicemail.

01:22:07 - 01:22:18 | Speaker 2:

By the way, that's awesome. So he has a voicemail of you truthfully drunk saying something to him, and you have no idea what you said to him?

01:22:19 - 01:22:30 | Speaker 5:

Nope. It's my boyfriend of three years. We live together. We also had a really weird breakup, so I was like, damn. Oh, I can't say that, but I was like, wow. This is not good.

01:22:31 - 01:22:32 | Speaker 3:

God, did you ever apologize?

01:22:34 - 01:22:35 | Speaker 5:

No, they probably deserved it.

01:22:35 - 01:22:36 | Speaker 3:

Now's your moment.

01:22:37 - 01:22:54 | Speaker 5:

I don't even know you, and I want to hear that voicemail. I was out at a bar in the UFC fight run. He was a really big UFC fan, and his favorite UFC fighter lost. So I called him, again, really drunk, and I said, so how do you feel that Michael Chandler lost? And he hung up the phone so fast So fast

01:22:54 - 01:22:59 | Speaker 1:

I like you What's up Tracy

01:22:59 - 01:23:03 | Speaker 6:

What up You know you my god

01:23:03 - 01:23:11 | Speaker 2:

I love it Tracy What did you do when you were drunk

01:23:11 - 01:23:58 | Speaker 3:

Oh man So we out here we hanging out we had an Airbnb We getting lit around the fire We drinking Classe Azul Every time you tell the truth you gotta hit the bell I like that We're telling the truth and everything I don't know probably about 7-8 shots in I done got wasted right So then I'm like well The truth is I'm about packed out of truth But I'm going to tell you like this He like her and him and kissing her all night And that's your man and that's your woman Oh my god y'all got a little situation Right here Wow So Go home Go home. They literally sent me home. I was like, all right, bro. I'm out of here. I got to go home. I messed up something. And they're like, do you know what?

01:23:58 - 01:24:02 | Speaker 1:

No, I was going to say, Tracy, stay away from the tequila. You got to be careful.

01:24:03 - 01:24:09 | Speaker 3:

Man, that's why I said it'll get you wasted, man. It started having you talking crazy. Next day, I ain't had no friends. Everybody was laughing.

01:24:09 - 01:24:15 | Speaker 1:

I would love to go drink tequila with you somewhere. That's amazing. We love you.

01:24:15 - 01:24:17 | Speaker 3:

I love y'all, too. Take care.

01:24:17 - 01:24:41 | Speaker 2:

Bye, Tracy. It's Mojo in the Morning Show. So Lydia is who answers your phones. She actually calls you too if you text and asks you to go on the radio with us. I'm going to bring her in for a topic here next. Did you guys hear about Lydia's little, like, having to hide her boyfriend from her dad story? Uh-oh. Uh-uh.

01:24:41 - 01:25:00 | Speaker 8:

Spill. Yeah, so I have a boyfriend, as some of you might know. and my dad has no idea so I'm Chaldean and Iraqi Catholic and my dad would probably go crazy if found out that I'm dating even though I'm 25 but I'm still a daddy.

01:25:00 - 01:25:11 | Speaker 1:

little girl yeah when you are when you're chaldean you are basically supposed to go from being daddy's little girl no matter what your age is to married right right never never the boyfriend part comes

01:25:11 - 01:25:14 | Speaker 2:

into play it's like the promise for two weeks the engagement and then a year later you're married

01:25:14 - 01:25:21 | Speaker 5:

your mom knows about your boyfriend right yeah yeah she knows and some of my family does too

01:25:21 - 01:26:13 | Speaker 2:

because they listen to the show but for those who don't know please don't tell my dad yesterday gas station guy was kind enough to drop me off some food and as he was pulling up in the driveway my dad was also pulling down the street okay to come home from work and he noticed he was like I think your dad's coming home like come outside come outside grab it and I was like no no just drive away so he backed out parked down the street from my house watched my dad come into my house, closed the garage. He ran up the driveway, dropped the food off, got in his car and dipped because he was so terrified of my dad seeing him come to our house. And usually when he picks me up on dates, I try to exit out the front door because if I open the garage, he can see through the door that someone's picking me up. So I just try to make it nonchalant as if no one's

01:26:13 - 01:26:18 | Speaker 3:

picking me up and hoping he never notices. What do you think your dad would do if he saw that you

01:26:18 - 01:26:34 | Speaker 2:

were dating this guy i don't know i feel like i could maybe get in trouble or he'd be reasonable about it like my dad's a really reasonable guy but it's just the thought of you know him feeling hurt that i'm hiding something from him right that would probably could you say oh he this is

01:26:34 - 01:26:41 | Speaker 5:

my friend you know i don't even know his well yes i do know his real name but like this is my friend gas station guy would your dad believe that no this is my friend gas station

01:26:41 - 01:27:15 | Speaker 2:

would he believe you or would he know right away he would not believe me no he would definitely know and there was one time actually like i was driving to church with my dad and gas station guy called me and his real name popped up on the screen and i was immediately hitting decline on my car play really fast and then he called me again because i think he thought the call didn't go through and my dad just looked at me he gave me like the stare down of like oh i think something's happening here and ever since that day he has not said anything about it all right so i know i have

01:27:15 - 01:27:55 | Speaker 1:

a couple of things that first off i want to ask listeners to call up and tell us about you know for those that had to hide their boyfriend or girlfriend how did you hide you know the person from the the the parent um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 or text 95500 you should have just had gas station guy, which is what you call your boyfriend, you should have had him pretend he was like an Uber Eats driver. Yes. Oh, that's actually a great idea. He could have like done that whole thing and been like, yeah, how you doing? Just dropping it off, you know what I mean? And like play it off like that's the case. That's amazing.

01:27:55 - 01:27:58 | Speaker 4:

That's actually a really good idea. That's a really good idea. Your dad, by the way,

01:27:59 - 01:28:10 | Speaker 1:

is the sweetest guy, but this is no joke and it's not saying anything bad about your dad because he is a good looking man. He's very intimidating and seems like the type of, he reminds me of the Chaldean version of Tony Soprano.

01:28:10 - 01:28:11 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:28:11 - 01:28:34 | Speaker 1:

Like, he reminds me, he's a bigger guy, like he's got muscles and stuff, because, you know, he works with, you know, machinery and cars and things like that. Yeah. And honestly, if I were to be a gas station guy, I would think I'm going to be killed, put out in the middle of somewhere nowhere, you know, that I don't know. Like, I would probably end up thinking that he would take me back to Iraq and bury me in the desert somewhere.

01:28:34 - 01:28:39 | Speaker 3:

So don't you feel like waiting and pushing this off is going to only make it worse when he actually does meet him?

01:28:39 - 01:28:43 | Speaker 2:

I'm pushing off any boyfriends I have until I know that I found the one.

01:28:44 - 01:29:07 | Speaker 5:

So that's what's so crazy to me, and this is a question I've always had for our Chaldean friends and our Chaldean listeners. And truly the process is the promise, the engagement, the wedding. So when you bring him home and say, okay, this is gas station guy, we're promising each other that we're going to get married. Your dad just is like, oh, you met him yesterday. And now, like, they have to know.

01:29:07 - 01:29:18 | Speaker 1:

No, that's kind of their thing. They kind of don't even think about it, right? They don't want to know. They don't get into it. Like, all our, you know, friends and, you know, people that we've known over the years, it's kind of like the dads just don't, it's the un...

01:29:18 - 01:29:19 | Speaker 5:

They turn a blind eye to it.

01:29:19 - 01:29:23 | Speaker 1:

It's the unasked, unanswered question that nobody ever says.

01:29:23 - 01:29:38 | Speaker 2:

So, Lydia, how long do you date somebody before you get promised to each other? The average for Chaldeans is usually, like, three years, I want to say. Oh, that's a long time. Okay. Yeah, about three years. But for me, I'm waiting a really long time until I figure out that that's my one.

01:29:39 - 01:29:39 | Speaker 1:

Erica?

01:29:41 - 01:29:41 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

01:29:41 - 01:29:48 | Speaker 1:

How you doing, Erica? We're talking about how Lydia, from our show here, had to hide her boyfriend from her dad.

01:29:49 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 4:

I used to have to hide my boyfriend from my parents at 16. I used to say it was going to my best friend's house, my cousin's house. I would literally ride a bike, like, three to four miles.

01:30:00 - 01:30:05 | Speaker 2:

just to go see him and then i ended up pregnant oh boy there was no more hiding him anymore

01:30:05 - 01:30:16 | Speaker 6:

um thank you for the call stephanie yes good morning good morning this is amazing you guys

01:30:16 - 01:30:41 | Speaker 3:

stephanie tell your story about hiding your guy so i miss my fiance now um but for about four years i hid him from my dad my mom knew about it i'm actually middle eastern and i hid him for about four years i actually like you literally i introduced him actually as a friend to my family and my dad knew better of course but i mean we're very engaged now but i had to hide him for a very

01:30:41 - 01:30:48 | Speaker 6:

very long time so what were the almost near misses like give us an example of what was almost a

01:30:48 - 01:31:26 | Speaker 3:

dad almost caught us oh my goodness so when we'd be outside so we went to high school together when we'd be outside in front of the getting I was waiting to get picked up from school and we'd be hugged up on each other and there was a moment there where he actually pulled around the corner and I had no idea that he was pulling around the corner and I'd almost seen us very very scared very worried about it and then I introduced him as a friend to my dad and of course he knew better but yeah I mean later on we we I had to let him know that this was this was my boyfriend this is who I wanted to be with, and he finally accepted it.

01:31:26 - 01:31:38 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, and he's like, I recognize that guy, you know? Yeah, you're so good. I wonder if dads secretly know. Like, they know. They just don't want to accept the fact that it's happening. They'd rather pretend like they don't know.

01:31:38 - 01:32:06 | Speaker 6:

I'm telling you, I have wanted to ask that question, Mike, to a number of, like, our babysitter's father, but he also scares me, too. Why is it that Chaldean dads always, and except for the guys that are my age, The guys my age seem like pushovers Like the buddies of mine, you know, like Scotty And stuff like that, you know But the guys that are You know, like your dad's age Your dad's generation They don't play

01:32:06 - 01:32:13 | Speaker 1:

It's the way they walk Like my dad carries his broad shoulders With the left to the right walk Like he's in a mafia

01:32:13 - 01:32:34 | Speaker 6:

It's honestly I look at them and I go They were probably friends with Saddam Hussein Or something like that Like I sit there and go So I go, man, this guy could, you know, who knows what could happen here. What's going on, Hana? Hi. How are you? Good. Hana actually experiences this, but she's not Chaldean. She's actually Albanian, right?

01:32:35 - 01:33:10 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and it's just as bad. You know, I dated my boyfriend for four years, and my parents didn't know about him or my brother because I was just as afraid of my brother as I was my dad. So where would you say you were going if you were going to meet your boyfriend? I told my sisters. Like, they were married. So, like, I was like, oh, I'm going to hang out with them. And, you know, my sisters would all obviously have a story for my parents if they called. And so I was, we were wanting to get engaged. So imagine I told my dad about my boyfriend, and I'm like, well, we're engaged. So that's how they want to know. Like, they don't want to know that you have a boyfriend. They just want you to get married. It can magically happen.

01:33:11 - 01:33:11 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Yeah.

01:33:12 - 01:33:16 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Which is honestly the way that every person wishes it was.

01:33:17 - 01:33:20 | Speaker 5:

I like it. I genuinely like the idea of that.

01:33:20 - 01:33:28 | Speaker 6:

I've always said to myself that I wish I was born into a culture that could just do arranged marriages because dating would suck. You know, it's like, who would want to do dating?

01:33:28 - 01:33:40 | Speaker 4:

People ask for our hands in marriage all the time, like a random. And I'm like, really? Like in this day and age, you know, my dad never forced us to do anything like that. But he would always ask us, are you interested? And we're like, no, not at all. Like, no, no, no.

01:33:40 - 01:33:48 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Olivia, you experienced something like Lydia experienced? Olivia?

01:33:49 - 01:33:54 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Hi. What's up? So I had to hide my boyfriend from my dad for years.

01:33:55 - 01:33:58 | Speaker 6:

And how would you do that? Was your boyfriend, like, in your closet or something?

01:33:59 - 01:35:07 | Speaker 2:

No. So I would just tell him, like, I was hanging out with friends all the time. Or I would, like, my mom knew. But, like, I would tell him, like, oh, like, I'm going to go hang out with some friends. And he's like, okay. Or, like, I was in college at the time. So any time I came home, because my boyfriend lived where, or my, no, he's my ex. But my boyfriend would live, he lived, like, 15 minutes from my house. So anytime I would come home and I want to hang out with him, I would have to tell my dad, oh, I'm going to hang out with my friend, like, Jessica. Or, like, because I don't have any sisters. So, like, I couldn't say, well, I'm going to go hang out with my brother and then try to hide it like that. Well, one day I wanted to go hang out with my boyfriend. He was, like, having a bonfire. And my dad wouldn't let me go anywhere. He was like, no, stay home, stay home. And I was like, no. Like, I want to go. So I bluntly told him, I was like, well, I have a boyfriend. He's like, how long have you been seeing him? And I was like, oh, like three months. And so my boyfriend pulled up. I had him pull up and meet my dad so that I can go to the. It was bonfire. And it was awkward. It was funny. He pulled up with two of his friends, and it was just.

01:35:07 - 01:35:24 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. The funny thing is when dad has seen that guy, and you tell him three months, and he realizes that you're lying, then he never believes a word out of your mouth. Really? He never believes a word out of your mouth ever again after that. And you married that guy, right?

01:35:25 - 01:35:36 | Speaker 2:

No, I actually dated him for another year, and then that's the only guy my dad has ever met. I'm now single. Me and him don't date anymore, but it was just the first guy my dad ever met.

01:35:36 - 01:35:42 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Which line did you want me to pick up, Shannon? Two. Line two. Janae?

01:35:43 - 01:35:46 | Speaker 4:

Hi. It's like my fourth call this month. Yay.

01:35:47 - 01:35:59 | Speaker 3:

This month? Wow. You're lucky. Good for you. Hold on. Wait. No, no, no. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on real quick. I got to do your punch card. By the way, if you get four more cards, you get a free Diet Coke.

01:36:00 - 01:36:01 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. And I love it.

01:36:01 - 01:36:03 | Speaker 3:

Go ahead. What's going on?

01:36:04 - 01:37:22 | Speaker 4:

So my dad is the no-nonsense dad. He's the typical black dad when it comes to his only daughter. And I'm the baby. And, you know, he's the dad that's like, you know, whatever you do to my daughter, I'm going to do to you. Type dad. And so every guy I've ever dated, he's had this talk. He's at him at the table. He's like, whatever you do to my daughter, I'm going to do to you. So if you guys, you know, do things, just be prepared. I'm like, Dad, you can't say this to people. This is like, you need to chill. He's like, no, I'm Dad. So now at this time, I'm out of college. I'm out of college. I'm back home. I have a guy that I've been seeing. And we've been talking for a year, and every time my dad would ask where I'm going, I'd say I'm going with his sister. I was friends with his sister before I even met him. But I was always with his sister. So my dad never had any idea until one night he came home. And I kind of set him up. Not my dad, my boyfriend. I told him, I said, hey, have you got to go sit in the living room? I'm going to talk to your sister in my room for a minute. And I knew my dad was pulling in the driveway because I was like, he has to meet him. My dad pulls in the driveway, opens the door, sees this six-foot-one mustache-bearded man sitting on his towel chair.

01:37:22 - 01:37:22 | Speaker 3:

Oh, jeez.

01:37:22 - 01:37:34 | Speaker 4:

He's like, who in the heck is this? I come out, and I'm like, hi, it's my boyfriend. This is his sister. And he just looks at me and looks at my boyfriend's sister and goes, y'all played me.

01:37:34 - 01:37:36 | Unknown:

Yeah. And he went away.

01:37:37 - 01:38:15 | Speaker 4:

I've seen her before, and he was like, y'all played me. so i'm like no we didn't play you and he it just so happens that after that i end up marrying him and just did dad like him he loved him that's great my dad has never invited a man to stay the night at my house but after a week and i was sick he asked my uh then boyfriend hey you you want to stay home stay and take care of her you can sleep on the couch when i tell you i was puzzled and i had no idea what was happening i thought i was in a matrix you know what that's good because you know what it's here's the deal dads

01:38:15 - 01:38:29 | Speaker 3:

know that they raise their daughters right like lydia is raised by her dad and you were raised by your dad janae that you're going to make the right choice and you're going to you know and then they'll accept that choice until those guys screw up and then they'll kill those guys

01:38:30 - 01:38:43 | Speaker 4:

Listen, he is the only guy that my dad ever trusts. He trusts him. He tells, listen, my husband knows recipes that my great-grandma taught my dad. Because he loves him so much. It's malarkey.

01:38:44 - 01:38:46 | Speaker 3:

I love it. You take care of yourself, Janae, okay?

01:38:47 - 01:38:47 | Speaker 4:

Thank you, too.

01:38:47 - 01:38:56 | Speaker 3:

All right, take care of yourself. All right, it is the Mojo in the Morning show. Shannon needs some divorced mama advice. What's the story?

01:38:56 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 1:

I do. I am wondering if there are other moms or dads, because dads have been in this position too, who can maybe share a little bit about what they did when they were in this situation. So really sensitive topic. But my sweet nine-year-old Lucy is having a little bit of a tough time with all of the change happening in her life. So my ex-husband and I have been divorced for, it'll be four years next month. so she was five going on six when when all of that was happening and just to give you a little bit of backstory if you don't listen to the show I am currently engaged to a guy named Wes and her dad my ex-husband Andrew is also engaged to a really great girl and so Lucy is struggling because she is missing it be just the four of us me my ex-husband her little brother smith and and her

01:40:00 - 01:41:31 | Speaker 3:

And I say this and also want to say she loves my fiance. She loves Andrew's fiance and all of the new step siblings that she's going to be getting. She's going to be getting a brother and sister on both sides. OK. But she has said this to me on multiple occasions that she does, you know, she's having a hard time. She misses it being on the four of us. I also found out from a friend of mine that kind of helps me with Lucy a little bit. She's a former teacher and now she works as a life coach. She's not really a therapist, but she has been such a help for my family. I found out that Luce remembers every single detail of the night that we told her that we were getting divorced. Down to we told her while we were outside making s'mores. And she remembers what she was wearing, what I was wearing, the fact that the marshmallows from her s'more got on my cell phone case that night. Just like, you know, all of these little itty bitty details, which is crazy because I remember all of the itty bitty details of the moment my parents told me they were getting divorced when I was the same age, five, maybe six years old. But so my my question is and what I want some advice on is just, you know, it has been four years and there is a ton of change going on. And I, I feel like I'm doing a good job of comforting her, but I would love to hear from anybody else who's ever been in this situation where, you know, families are starting to blend and we're all moving forward. Like what, what do you do?

01:41:31 - 01:41:40 | Speaker 4:

I wonder if it's harder that the blend is happening on both sides right now too. All at the same time. Yeah.

01:41:40 - 01:41:45 | Speaker 3:

And both are great situations, but that's a lot. That's a lot.

01:41:46 - 01:41:56 | Speaker 4:

I mean, I think for being a child, I think that that's kind of be a lot, especially at their age. Honestly, it'd be a lot for anybody at their age, yeah.

01:41:57 - 01:42:19 | Speaker 2:

Can I give my perspective on being the kid in this situation? Yeah. Because I cannot give any sort of parental or marital advice. But for the kid I know when I wanted to talk about it An adult shut me down That hurt way worse than any advice or anything Just letting her talk about it whenever she wants to Or brings it up and being like Yeah let's discuss instead of not right now Was always huge to me Yeah

01:42:19 - 01:42:34 | Speaker 3:

That's so good And we do Like I always I always tell her I am Mama is always here Whenever you want to talk And I just I really try my best to just listen But that's Yeah That's big Jennifer What's up?

01:42:35 - 01:42:54 | Speaker 1:

Hi. Okay. So I haven't been divorced, but I was a child who went through a lot of trauma, and my parents did separate when I was young, and it was very traumatic. But I really think if she doesn't have her own therapist, that you should possibly look into that. We do.

01:42:55 - 01:43:03 | Speaker 3:

I mean, she's not necessarily a therapist. She considers herself like a life coach, but she has been absolutely, insanely phenomenal.

01:43:03 - 01:43:09 | Speaker 4:

with with loose and does she go by herself or does she go she goes by herself okay yeah

01:43:09 - 01:44:05 | Speaker 1:

that's really good because kids worry about how they make their parents feel like um and tend to think that things are their fault that aren't you know did you feel that way when you when your parents were going through the divorce jennifer i thought that my parents my parents fought about money a lot come to find out as an adult i now know that my dad had a gambling problem but as a kid I didn't know that and I used to think that it was my fault because I was expensive kids you know eat things whatever and yeah so I didn't have that third party and you know my mom was also going through a lot and my dad wasn't even around at the time so it was just a lot so yeah having a therapist is great I think that's amazing and I'm really glad that she has that because that neutral third party that you don't have to worry about how they feel yeah it's really great for a

01:44:05 - 01:44:15 | Speaker 5:

kid yeah do you guys still do stuff together i know you guys did it in the beginning uh like all together like you and andrew and the kids you guys still do stuff not as much not as much

01:44:15 - 01:44:21 | Speaker 3:

mike but like we're all still at a baseball game or a lacrosse game you know stuff like that i wish

01:44:21 - 01:44:39 | Speaker 5:

all of us are there when my parents had gotten a divorce i wish that i'd saw that because all i ever heard was bad things about my dad I never got to see them together or they never came to both you know my events school events or baseball games or anything like that at the same time and I had wished that that stuff had still happened so that's really cool yeah it's interesting

01:44:39 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 4:

because you and uh her dad have you know had a good relationship through this whole thing like unlike what like you know Mike was talking about and part of me wonders and I don't know a therapist would tell you this but you guys had such a good thing with each other where you guys would all go to dinners and stuff together if that makes kids think, okay, this is what my life's going to be like forever.

01:45:00 - 01:45:01 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't know.

01:45:01 - 01:45:08 | Speaker 1:

You know, and then all of a sudden another person comes in and you start dating. Because both of you guys waited such a long time to go and start dating again.

01:45:08 - 01:45:16 | Speaker 2:

We did. And I feel like just like everything about being a parent, like in the moment you think you're doing this like great thing. And then you look back and go, was I doing the right thing?

01:45:16 - 01:45:16 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:45:16 - 01:45:19 | Speaker 2:

Like, did I screw this up even more? I don't know. I hope not.

01:45:19 - 01:45:54 | Speaker 1:

Because sometimes kids are young and you went through a divorce. Yeah. You know, you can speak from that experience. but sometimes it's so difficult because you think to yourself okay what is my life going to look like you know in the future and you know how things going to be and if all of a sudden somebody new comes in and that new person with kids comes in and then now you got to sit there and figure out where am I going to be in this whole thing you know and both of you guys I know do such a great job of trying to comfort both of your kids but it's inevitable that you're going to have the kids are going to feel insecure yeah and what's up it's mojo on the morning show Shannon uh looking

01:45:54 - 01:47:29 | Speaker 4:

for divorced parent advice yeah so first of all this whole conversation is amazing channon never doubt yourself we are our own worst critics um you're doing a great job mama just as you worried about it and having this conversation getting the perspective of divorced kids like myself and divorced moms. So my parents were divorced, and when they got divorced, I suffered a lot of abuse on my father's side. And so when I had my daughter, I was so scared that something like that would happen, and a new person would come into her life and kind of just kind of create chaos for her. But her dad and I have been divorced now for about five years. She's nine also and we get together and do cookouts so I'm remarried he's engaged I don't have any more kids my husband doesn't have any but her dad's side she has two sisters and an only child she really loves them as her sisters and we they've spent the night at our house she's gone to their biological dad's house like it is a big extended family maybe inviting everyone over for a cookout or doing more scenes together with everyone outside of those activities, I think would be very beneficial and also good on you for having her talk to that third party. You're doing a great job. Keep it up.

01:47:29 - 01:47:31 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. That means a lot to me. Thank you.

01:47:31 - 01:47:39 | Speaker 1:

Sometimes I wonder if kids feel guilty when they're having fun at the other parent's house because they feel like the other, you know what I mean?

01:47:39 - 01:48:03 | Speaker 2:

So I try really, really hard to combat that because I always will tell her, I love that you. So she is getting two siblings on Andrew's side that are really close in age to her. And so I always say, I love that you are having so much fun when you guys all hang out. Like, I want her to feel comfortable and know that it's okay, that she loves being at dad's house and she loves being at mom's house. Hopefully she loves being at my house.

01:48:04 - 01:48:06 | Speaker 1:

Oh, she does. What's up, Jill?

01:48:07 - 01:48:35 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. My parents aren't divorced, but I was just thinking of this as like from a grief standpoint. like maybe she's kind of grieving the end because now that you guys are both in uh obviously very serious relationships there's no chance that mom and dad are ever going to get back together and i know you guys do like we're doing vacations and stuff like that so i mean maybe like a little bit of therapy wouldn't hurt i know you said that you have the friend that helps but um no she's

01:48:35 - 01:48:39 | Speaker 1:

what she said was she's doing therapy she's doing therapy yeah right yeah okay yeah i was like because

01:48:39 - 01:48:58 | Speaker 5:

That's, like, a major, like, something that's closing that's not a possibility anymore. And maybe that's kind of, like, in her mind. Maybe there was still a possibility that one day you guys might be back together. And even though she's happy with those situations, maybe that's just something that she's having a hard time coming to terms with.

01:48:58 - 01:49:22 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. And also the other thing, too, is she's young. She's nine. She's nine years old. Yeah. I mean, we. And let me tell you, third grade is a lot. Believe me. A third grade is tough for my kids when my kids' parents were together. You know what I mean? It's like that's tough in itself, and it could also be other things that are going on and extenuating things of just being a third grader and a 9-year-old. Tiffany, what's up?

01:49:23 - 01:49:23 | Speaker 3:

Hey, guys.

01:49:23 - 01:49:25 | Speaker 1:

Hey, what's going on?

01:49:26 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 3:

Not much. I just wanted to call it. So I'm the bonus mom in the situation, also to a 10-year-old, and we had a lot of changes last year. So mom got engaged, dad got engaged, mom got pregnant, bonus mom got pregnant both babies were born um and our boy is a solo child so he has had a lot of changes um we just try to do everything we can the four parents of us you know together with him like birthday dinners and after school trees or karate class things like that so that we can all be together we do christmas morning together the last couple years um and now the babies

01:50:00 - 01:50:16 | Speaker 5:

are there too so we just try to do everything we can all together there were no step siblings that came in from either side um so i don't know if that makes things easier or harder but um definitely doing as much as you can as like a huge combo family definitely helps and shows that support

01:50:16 - 01:50:23 | Speaker 7:

that seems to be a common uh thought of of many of the listeners uh last call and uh leisha what's

01:50:23 - 01:51:00 | Speaker 6:

up hey excuse me sorry good money guys um i just wanted to call and say like i am a product of divorce i'm currently separated and shannon i've been listening to you guys for such a long time and even though i've never met you like i honestly almost hold on to every word you say because i like i i look to you for advice in these situations and um that kind of sounds creepy in a weird way But I want to encourage you to continue talking about these things, even though it's probably hard for you. We as listeners really connect with this. And it means a lot that you guys are talking about things like this.

01:51:00 - 01:51:03 | Speaker 7:

How are you guys holding up, by the way? How are you doing in your situation, Alicia?

01:51:04 - 01:51:30 | Speaker 6:

It's tough. It's really tough, especially when kids are involved and, you know, you're a product of that. You don't want to see them go through what you've been through. But you know that you have to do what is best for you and your family. and you know it's really tough but life is tough and you got to keep going and and you know hearing that um you know somebody else is going through it somebody that you've looked up to for a little

01:51:30 - 01:51:58 | Speaker 7:

while it it makes a big difference and we want to say thank you and honestly the the thing that we've tried to do for the years that we've been doing this show is to try to talk about what we can talk about within reason obviously with our family situations for the reason of exactly what you just said on that call that hopefully that you can feel like you're not alone and then hopefully there's a listener out there that might have that great tip for you shannon it it is very

01:51:58 - 01:52:34 | Speaker 2:

scary to share some of this stuff everybody i will be the first to say you and you you know this especially and i'm pointing to mojo it is very hard for me to open up and share especially when it comes to my kids the reason i am sharing this is i i feel like lucy has this insanely amazing community around her and when i say community i mean listeners because you have been there Since I announced that I was pregnant So I feel like this is a safe space To share what is happening I'm sure I will hear an earful later today From family or friends or whatever But I really really do Feel like this is such a safe space And she's got this awesome community That is watching over her So thank you

01:52:34 - 01:52:41 | Speaker 7:

I always felt like if my parents ever got divorced That I would just play them To get free stuff all the time

01:52:41 - 01:52:46 | Speaker 2:

Well let me tell you Both of my children are very good about that Very good. They're very skilled.

01:52:46 - 01:52:48 | Speaker 3:

Very skilled at saying?

01:52:48 - 01:52:49 | Speaker 2:

They're very skilled.

01:52:49 - 01:52:52 | Speaker 3:

That's two Christmases, two birthdays. Yeah.

01:52:52 - 01:52:53 | Speaker 2:

It's the best.

01:52:53 - 01:52:54 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

01:52:54 - 01:52:58 | Speaker 2:

I feel like that's why we have so many Legos. I know some people. They've done a good job.

01:52:58 - 01:53:05 | Speaker 7:

I know that it seemed like KP and Kev, you guys wanted to say something real quick. I know I'm running late on this with the dirty and stuff, but real quick, say what you're going to say.

01:53:05 - 01:53:08 | Speaker 3:

No, just Josiah's nine. Well, now he's 10 years old.

01:53:09 - 01:53:11 | Speaker 7:

This is Kevin, a new member of the show. He's got a son.

01:53:11 - 01:53:38 | Speaker 3:

I think sometimes we want to protect our children. so we shield them and we don't really have the tough conversations with them and when that happens sometimes they don't get to voice their real emotions and kids sometimes have the same emotions as adults so i try to give josiah space to say whatever he wants and have those tough conversations and open it up because i want him to be able to unload because if he doesn't and he doesn't feel like he can speak and he's just holding it all up and who knows how he'll get

01:53:38 - 01:54:01 | Speaker 4:

it out i'm also a product of divorce i'm the oldest of six and i have two other siblings and like a step-sibling so there's eight and it was i'm still struggling with the grief of that divorce like yeah you know several years later and sometimes i'm the type of person that keeps it in and it's it's you know showing emotion for me i've come a long way and i still struggle with it so having these conversations now with her is so important yeah it's awesome

01:54:01 - 01:54:17 | Speaker 7:

40 dirty on the all right whatever it almost could have been to 50 we could have taken even more calls and more comments because that was an amazing topic. What's going on with Dirty on the 30s? So,

01:54:17 - 01:54:41 | Speaker 2:

Ariana Maddox from Vanderpump Rules is still living in the same house as her ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval. So, you may have seen the photos or videos of her with the U-Haul truck in the driveway and she and some of her friends were carrying moving boxes out of the house. Well, it was all a setup. It's all part of some sponsored content for some sort of

01:54:41 - 01:54:54 | Speaker 1:

financial company i think maybe i'm moving up not out well not yet at least it's time to get my financial house in order i will have more to share with you very very soon by the way people are

01:54:54 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 2:

saying that it actually works for them to still be living under the same roof because they are never ever there at the same time they're both traveling so

01:55:00 - 01:57:57 | Speaker 1:

She's there. He's not there and vice versa. But by the way, Ariana's interview on the Call of Her Daddy podcast drops today. Here's a little sneak peek of that. They had sex in my guest room while I was sleeping in my own bed that he and I went to bed in together and then he left the bed and went to the guest room. Oh, obviously talking about Raquel and Kevin. Rumor has it Katy Perry wants to step down as a judge on American Idol because she feels misrepresented by the show. And she essentially believes that she's been repeatedly thrown under the bus by producers who she believes have edited the show to make her look like the quote-unquote nasty judge. And if you kind of follow Idol or just news about Idol, you know she's been criticized multiple times over the past few months for comments that she's made to contestants. Right at the start of the season, she was accused of mom-shaming a contestant after joking that this 25-year-old mom, Sarah Beth Levy, had been, quote-unquote, laying on the table too much. Do you remember that? I played you that. People were up in arms about that comment. Last month, she was booed by the audience when she bashed a contestant's choice of outfit, found herself in hot water a few weeks ago when she was accused of being disrespectful towards a singer following the elimination of her favorite. contestant elijah mccormick but one source explained to me katie's fine she's actually not fazed by all of the drama this story is not true um and he's telling me you know katie just has a very unique sense of humor that may not always translate well on camera but she never ever has any ill intent so tom hanks this photo that has been going around the internet which shows him appearing to scold a worker as he's walking the red carpet at the premiere of his new movie Asteroid City during the Cannes Film Festival last night. It doesn't look like something that is characteristic of Tom Hanks to do. He's got this mean scowl on his face. He's pointing his finger right in the face of this young man while his wife, Rita Wilson, stands right by his side. And at one point, Rita looks like she's holding her hand up in front of her as she's speaking to this man, but both appeared to be trying to calm him down or something. Calm down the situation well here's what really happened sharing a photo of that moment on social media rita wilson writes this is called i can't hear you people are screaming what did you say where are we supposed to go and the guy whose name is vincent said yeah truly they were asking me if they needed to go back to the start of the red carpet so this is so loud with the cast and crew We just couldn't hear each other. It's a good picture or something. Clickbait. It's total clickbait. Calm down. Yep. And lastly, a 64-year-old Kentucky man shot his roommate in the booty

01:57:57 - 01:58:02 | Speaker 1:

after the victim, how dare he, ate the very last hot pocket in the freezer.

01:58:03 - 01:58:21 | Speaker 2:

Wow. And is charged with shooting his roommate during an argument over food. Clifton Williams faces an assault charge. According to court records, Williams was mad because the man had eaten the last hot pocket. The victim was found a few blocks away on Beecher Street. In court today, a judge set Williams' bond at $7,500.

01:58:21 - 01:58:23 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, he's been charged with felony assaults.

01:58:23 - 01:58:40 | Speaker 3:

Anybody who's ever had a roommate that ate the last thing or coming up here in just a little bit, Kev from our show, very upset about what happened to his Chipotle. So we're going to get into that coming up here in just a little bit. You would not be shooting anybody, though. I don't know.

01:58:40 - 01:58:44 | Speaker 1:

For all of today's Dirty, you check out the Dirty Cates on Mojo in the Morning.

01:58:44 - 01:58:51 | Speaker 2:

Get more dirt at Mojo in the Morning on social media. The latest craze. It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:58:51 - 01:59:17 | Speaker 3:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning show. Five Lies Tell Your Moms coming up here in just a little bit. New member of the show, Kev, in with us today. And when we were talking about some things to bring up on today's show, So, Kev brought up that he got very upset because something happened to his food that he bought. So, what's going on? So, you went and got food yesterday.

01:59:17 - 01:59:41 | Speaker 4:

Not just food, okay? Chipotle. And we're not going to have a Hot Pocket incident, but I was equally as pissed off as I'm sure that guy was. So, I love Chipotle. Anybody knows me. Chipotle is my life. And typically, when I go to Chipotle, I have my favorites order. I order ahead of time. So by the time I get there, I'll just pick it up and I'm going back to the crib. I get two bowls of fritas, black and pinto beans. I get the whole thing, large chip guac, the whole thing.

01:59:41 - 01:59:48 | Speaker 3:

Who are you buying for food for? This is just for me. Wait, you eat two bowls? You eat two bowls of Chipotle.

01:59:49 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 4:

Two bowls, baby. Black beans, pinto beans, lettuce, cheese, fajitas, veggies. It depends on how frisky I'm feeling. There are days. There are days where I've put back-to-back bowls.

02:00:00 - 02:00:04 | Speaker 3:

and you probably wouldn't talk to me for the next two days because I'm just incapacitated. You're on the toilet?

02:00:04 - 02:00:07 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you're going to fit right in. It's not a good time.

02:00:07 - 02:00:08 | Speaker 2:

That's amazing.

02:00:08 - 02:00:10 | Speaker 4:

So excited to have you in the studio with Joe.

02:00:10 - 02:00:25 | Speaker 2:

By the way, for those that wonder what he looks like, this man is not a big man. You're a nice-sized guy, but you're not like, what do you do to survive this? I flush it out, I guess. Unbelievable. Go straight through. So you got two bowls yesterday.

02:00:25 - 02:01:10 | Speaker 3:

So I get two bowls, right? So I didn't get the two bowls yesterday. This is a Saturday, so I get the two bowls Saturday. I eat one and I put it in a refrigerator because I know eventually I'm going to eat it because I'm never going to throw it away we had a long day yesterday we had the morning show then like I said I went to Comerica Park hit a couple balls had a great day and I know for a fact that when I get home my Chipotle is going to be where I left it but when I open the refrigerator it isn't there and I go to Sherelle's my girlfriend I'm like hey what did you see my Chipotle oh yeah I threw that away. I say, you did what? Yeah, I threw it away. It's been in there since Saturday. What gives you the right to decide the shelf life of my food? Well, wait. Okay.

02:01:11 - 02:01:15 | Speaker 4:

So I was in agreement with you until I heard it. It had been in there since Saturday. It is.

02:01:15 - 02:01:16 | Speaker 3:

So it was probably stinky.

02:01:17 - 02:01:18 | Speaker 4:

No, it's not like salmon.

02:01:18 - 02:01:50 | Speaker 3:

It's meat. It's meatless options. It's sofritas. Oh, okay. All right. And it's not fully open. It's foiled. It's wrapped. But how long do you think food lasts without preservatives, my dude? Look, man, Tuesday was enough time for me. Okay, that's risky. You're wondering why we have stomach issues. It might be you're eating spoiled food. But here's the thing. It's my decision. If I'm going to get sick, let me get sick. Don't go touch my food and throw it away. But you guys live together.

02:01:50 - 02:01:54 | Speaker 4:

So if you get sick, it affects her. Yeah. And it's her fridge, too.

02:01:54 - 02:01:55 | Speaker 2:

And she's pregnant.

02:01:56 - 02:01:56 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:01:57 - 02:02:39 | Speaker 2:

This is, by the way, a version either of Am I the A-Hole or Am I the A-Hole. It's Am I the A-Hole. So real quick, I want to throw this out there because there's a couple of things you can call up with. Number one, you can call up with like the story that Shannon did a moment ago about the roommate that ate the Hot Pocket and the guy shot him. You can call up with the complaints about your roommates or people in your home that eat your food. Then I also think that you could call up and tell us, another thing with this, you call up and tell us the excessive order that you have when you go eat and what is your excessive order. Because I'm going to say this to you. That seems very excessive that you go by two bowls and we can down two bowls of that stuff.

02:02:39 - 02:02:47 | Speaker 3:

So how is it different than if you go to a restaurant and you get an appetizer, you get a full entree, you get drinks, and you get dessert?

02:02:47 - 02:02:50 | Speaker 2:

What's the difference? All right, there is no difference, but that's a lot of beans.

02:02:50 - 02:02:51 | Speaker 4:

He's like, Darren, you're right.

02:02:52 - 02:03:06 | Speaker 2:

No, it's a lot of beans. First off, the mere fact that you go black beans and pinto beans at the same time. Yeah, got to get my protein. Wait, are you not a meat eater? I don't eat meat. You don't eat meat at all? It's vegetarian vibes. It's fish or it's something from a restaurant.

02:03:07 - 02:03:08 | Speaker 4:

Learn something new.

02:03:08 - 02:03:30 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so, and then the whole keeping it for a long period of time thing is not a good idea. Actually, I just got a text. I just got a text from, let's see here, where is it at? The Michigan Health Department says, they say food lasts six days. That's from Misfit Victor on a text. Love you, Victor.

02:03:30 - 02:03:35 | Speaker 4:

If it's pasta or something, I'll keep it in my fridge longer. But if it's something, like I said, that smells a little bit, it's going.

02:03:35 - 02:03:36 | Speaker 2:

It's Saturday.

02:03:36 - 02:03:37 | Speaker 3:

It's not like it's been a week.

02:03:38 - 02:03:39 | Speaker 2:

Daniel, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning.

02:03:40 - 02:03:47 | Speaker 1:

Yes, I agree with the guy 100%. Yeah, it's Kev. Say hi to Kev Hi Kev

02:03:47 - 02:03:48 | Speaker 3:

What's up Daniel

02:03:48 - 02:03:56 | Speaker 1:

Yeah what's up man I agree with you 100% I get so upset when my girlfriend does this to me

02:03:56 - 02:04:03 | Speaker 2:

Yes So if she throws your food away Is it usually throwing it away Or is she eating it

02:04:03 - 02:04:06 | Speaker 1:

No she throws it away She'll straight up just throw it away

02:04:06 - 02:04:11 | Speaker 2:

And she's not allowed to touch your food Even though it looks like it's growing things on it In the refrigerator

02:04:11 - 02:04:16 | Speaker 1:

I don't know about growing things Because if it's growing things, I'm going to throw it away.

02:04:16 - 02:04:20 | Speaker 3:

Well, Ann, you said she's pregnant too, right? Yeah, Chipotle.

02:04:21 - 02:04:27 | Speaker 1:

If it's Chipotle, I mean, come on. I mean, that's expensive right there. Exactly.

02:04:27 - 02:04:33 | Speaker 2:

Two bowls are what? A bowl is like $12 a piece, right? Exactly. And then you get the large chip and guac.

02:04:33 - 02:04:46 | Speaker 1:

Yes. And the main thing is with Chipotle is you're expected not to eat all of it on that first day. So it can last two or three days

02:04:46 - 02:04:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, by the way, now you're judging me Nobody loves Chipotle more than I do

02:04:51 - 02:04:56 | Speaker 4:

I think we all know one day max that rice is making it And then it gets inedible

02:04:56 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 3:

I know what I'm bringing Megan for the pool party

02:05:00 - 02:05:01 | Speaker 6:

What's going on, Brendan?

02:05:02 - 02:05:15 | Speaker 3:

Hi, good morning. I had a roommate that just moved in like a week prior to me, like going on a little vacation. And when I get back, he drank a whole 12, or sorry, 24 packs of Coke that I had in my fridge.

02:05:15 - 02:05:15 | Speaker 6:

That bastard.

02:05:16 - 02:05:18 | Speaker 3:

The first week that he was living with me.

02:05:18 - 02:05:26 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. No, you can't do that. You cannot drink your beverage. That's the worst when that's your drink that you have. What's up, Blake?

02:05:27 - 02:05:28 | Unknown:

Hey, how's it going?

02:05:29 - 02:05:31 | Speaker 6:

Good. Blake calls up with the roommate rule.

02:05:32 - 02:05:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so we have a rule in our house where leftovers, after 36 hours, if it has not been eaten, it is fair game. I think that's fair.

02:05:42 - 02:05:50 | Speaker 6:

Fair game to eat or throw away? Both. Really? 36 hours is the maximum time?

02:05:50 - 02:05:51 | Speaker 5:

You don't want it after that one.

02:05:52 - 02:05:53 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, absolutely.

02:05:53 - 02:05:58 | Speaker 5:

See, I like the fact that you have rules established. I think that's where we're missing things in our house.

02:05:58 - 02:05:59 | Speaker 6:

Well, you need to do that.

02:05:59 - 02:06:03 | Speaker 5:

How long have you guys been living together? I think two years, maybe.

02:06:03 - 02:06:05 | Speaker 6:

You guys have, you're making a mistake.

02:06:05 - 02:06:10 | Speaker 3:

The reason I brought up the pregnancy, she's got that pregnancy smell, too, man. You can't mess with that.

02:06:10 - 02:06:27 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. For those who don't know, Kev, who's new to the show, his girlfriend, Sherelle, is pregnant. And like Mike said, Mike, if you threw away some of that, or if Allie saw that you left stuff in the refrigerator and it started getting to a point like that, she would have gotten rid of that thing. That would have been tossed, right?

02:06:27 - 02:06:31 | Speaker 5:

The amount of things that pregnant women eat, I feel like they're already confused with their smells.

02:06:32 - 02:06:32 | Speaker 6:

No.

02:06:32 - 02:06:35 | Speaker 5:

What? You want Burger King one minute? You want Tropical Smoothie the next?

02:06:35 - 02:06:47 | Speaker 6:

Actually, let me say this to you. When a woman is pregnant, you deal with whatever their smell is. If they don't like the smell of certain things, because it's done. And you never order it until they're okay with the smell again. What's up, Brittany?

02:06:48 - 02:06:49 | Speaker 4:

Hi.

02:06:49 - 02:06:50 | Speaker 6:

Hi.

02:06:50 - 02:07:28 | Speaker 4:

Morning. Good morning. So I'm just calling because the other day, I'm from Windsor. So the other day, we went to gyros and more, and I haven't had a gyro in a really long time, and I was super excited to get the gyro and the Greek salad and the fries, and we went home and we ate it, but I only had half. So I went out and did my errands and running around, and while I was out, I was texting my fiancé, and I said, oh, my God, I'm so hungry. I can't wait to get home and eat my gyro, the rest of it, or whatever. and he didn't respond back to me and I get home to eat my gyro.

02:07:29 - 02:07:29 | Speaker 6:

You know where they're at.

02:07:30 - 02:07:31 | Unknown:

So hopefully it's gone.

02:07:32 - 02:07:33 | Speaker 2:

He ate it. The worst.

02:07:33 - 02:07:39 | Speaker 5:

Did he eat it? Shame on him. He ate the gyro while he was reading the text message.

02:07:40 - 02:07:42 | Speaker 4:

Probably. Probably.

02:07:42 - 02:07:45 | Speaker 6:

Oh, you don't do that to you. Did you want to cut him?

02:07:47 - 02:07:56 | Speaker 4:

But the worst thing was when I was out I had gotten him McDonald's and he wanted a McDouble so I got him two And he had the nerve to offer me One of his McDouble

02:07:56 - 02:07:59 | Speaker 6:

Oh, wait, that was nice of him That was actually kind of nice

02:07:59 - 02:08:02 | Speaker 4:

I couldn't believe it

02:08:02 - 02:08:05 | Speaker 6:

You should have eaten both of them And just said, go F off

02:08:05 - 02:08:20 | Speaker 1:

WKQI Detroit WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids WVKS Toledo Three great stations One stupid show This is Mojo in the Morning Live

02:08:20 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. Welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. We're going to get to five lies to tell your mom in moments, so do not go anywhere, and we'll get to that. And then there's a couple of things I just wanted to bring up randomly. I got a couple of stories. I did not know this. This actually kind of is, to me, scary that this is the case. but it's now become a class action lawsuit and i wanted to bring this up uh are you you know yesterday you heard my doordash story about the doordasher which by the way doordash doug did not call us up and uh i went and actually talked to the people at uh red coat because that was where we got the mac and cheese from remember i was telling the story about how yeah uh i believe the guy ate my mac and cheese because he had cheese around his his beard or in his beard well doug did not uh you know call us up to to talk to us and i know he's got to be a listener because he acted kind of kind of interesting when he was dropping the uh the food off but um i uh did have that uh the mac and cheese in my bag because the people the yeah the people at uh redcoat told me that they remember packing my bag for me because they could see the bag. So there was definitely, yes. But there's a story that is out right now that is interesting. And the story is that if you order

02:10:00 - 02:10:47 | Speaker 1:

DoorDash from your iPhone, you are paying more for DoorDash than those that order from an Android. This might be the only reason to get an Android, you know, because other than that, does anybody really want an Android? No. Nope. But so food delivery app DoorDash is being sued for a billion dollars over claims. It charges customers for using an iPhone more than those with an Android. Screenshots filed in this class action lawsuit that iPhone users were roughly charged $1 to $2 more than Android users for the delivery of an identical order from an identical address.

02:10:48 - 02:10:48 | Speaker 5:

Why?

02:10:48 - 02:11:33 | Speaker 1:

Single father Ross Hexcon is the one who brought this thing. Ross, you're a gosh darn genius. Guy put this in the District of Maryland courts. He thought he started noticing the difference in the bill, and he and his spouse had different phone carriers or phones. And so he did this. Why are they doing it? Because they're assuming that iPhone users have maybe more money, and maybe they're the ones that are able to pay it. I don't know. What would be the reason why? Why would they do that? That's my guess. Yeah, I don't know. DoorDash fired back with allegations saying that this is baseless and simply without merit. I don't know. I don't know what the story is.

02:11:33 - 02:11:38 | Speaker 5:

How do you... They can prove it. Right. How do you say it's not... Yeah. How do you say it's without merit?

02:11:38 - 02:11:45 | Speaker 1:

Well, he's saying that... I think they're claiming that there's not enough evidence to this whole thing.

02:11:45 - 02:11:48 | Speaker 5:

You could... Their receipts. This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Yeah.

02:11:48 - 02:12:13 | Speaker 1:

I want to try to find out, because I had this TikTok that was a really good one of this woman that was proven it did i send it to you guys i think i might have sent it to you guys about the doordash thing i find these things by the way i you know sometimes this is how we all by the way know get our news nowadays we see somebody with a tiktok and they just put a tiktok together and for some reason it makes us yeah claim that these stories are real right wikipedia

02:12:13 - 02:12:19 | Speaker 3:

it's a jumping point it's great to start there and then google yes these people by the way are

02:12:19 - 02:12:31 | Speaker 1:

always very smart with their with their they do the investigation. Do you ever notice that TikTokers are better than the evening news that we have? The local news that we have? They're more entertaining.

02:12:31 - 02:12:42 | Speaker 3:

They don't talk like robots. Yeah, okay. Here you go. And tonight, we break down the iPhone versus the Android when it comes to DoorDash prices. I love it.

02:12:42 - 02:12:46 | Speaker 1:

Hold on, Megan. Hold on, Megan. Hold on, ready? Megan on the 9.

02:12:48 - 02:12:54 | Speaker 4:

Breaking news. Is your iPhone causing you to pay too much for your DoorDash?

02:12:57 - 02:13:02 | Speaker 1:

All right, hold on. Hold on, this is the lady. This is the one that did the thing.

02:13:03 - 02:14:04 | Speaker 2:

Now, if you and your roommate order the exact same DoorDash order from the exact same place at the exact same time, you might get charged differently. And why? This is all alleged in the amended complaint for the $1 billion DoorDash class action regarding DoorDash's predatory pricing. So first, iPhone customers are charged more than Android users. Allegedly, StoryDash knows iPhone users are in a higher income bracket. Check out these examples. Like Chick-fil-A by an iPhone user. Fruit Cup Hash Brown Bowl, $27.39. Now we switch to the Android user, $26.39. Bingo. Exact same time, exact same order. The difference is in the delivery fee. Or Chipotle, one chicken burrito bowl for an iPhone user is $27.52. The Android user, $25.53. The difference is in the delivery fee. Kyoza and rice from Kotosake Japanese Steakhouse. $26.89 for an iPhone user. $24.89 for someone who orders on Android. Same time, same delivery address, same order. Also in this class action, how DashPass is a scam. Because they get you to buy DashPass by saying that it'll reduce your fee. But allegedly, they just charge you expanded range fee. They don't tack on to non-DashPass users. How dare they?

02:14:04 - 02:14:06 | Speaker 5:

I have DashPass. I missed that. She's talking too fast.

02:14:07 - 02:14:14 | Speaker 2:

The order from a DashPass account, $15.80, including a $0.99 expanded range fee. Look, same time, same place, same delivery address. Wow.

02:14:14 - 02:14:38 | Speaker 1:

All right, so all this stuff, by the way, is claiming this. and they're saying that the class action lawsuit is going to go before them, and they may have to settle this one. And if they settle it, you have to be aware of this because I don't know if you've ever been involved in a class action lawsuit, but I've gotten a couple of times where I've gotten like $10 checks sent to me or something. Yeah, it's kind of the best, though. Yeah, but you almost have to put it in for it. Jessie, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning. Hi.

02:14:38 - 02:14:40 | Speaker 6:

Hi. Hi. How are you?

02:14:40 - 02:14:41 | Speaker 1:

Good. What's up?

02:14:41 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 6:

So I work for, and I started during the pandemic, for like grubhub and uh doordash i do more well i used to do a lot of doordash and i work for shipped and uber eats um i actually got terminated from uber eats because i was questioning the tipping because

02:15:00 - 02:15:51 | Speaker 5:

i actually knew people who um i know i have like quite a few customers that i've you know made where i actually do deliveries for them off the apps and stuff and um there has been times that like when so like when you order you get charged more especially like if you do ship like your groceries are charged way more than what the price is in the store oh yeah and yeah you don't get like so for door dash we get like maybe two dollars to two dollars and fifty cents um per delivery and then we get whatever um of the tip but i have known people and i have like had proof of people like tipping like say 15 and we would only get like four dollars and 25 cents and that's the same with the ship and stuff like can i ask this question you're because obviously everything

02:15:51 - 02:16:25 | Speaker 2:

you're saying is i've kind of known about it and it was nothing was earth shattering but you need tell me this to make it or shattering. Why is it when I order some certain things from the delivery services, they'll charge me, they'll give me three prices of what to give as a tip. But then sometimes you order when you order something that's like more expensive or from a more expensive place, they don't charge you with the $3 amounts. They do 10%, 20%, 30% or whatever. Why do they change it from the actual dollar amounts to a percentage i think it depends on like the

02:16:25 - 02:16:31 | Speaker 5:

like the store or the restaurant or anything that you order because it's different interesting

02:16:31 - 02:17:04 | Speaker 2:

because i i've had that happen to me at places that like all of a sudden out of the blue it will change up and i'm like why is this restaurant changing the way that that i'm able to tip and i always feel like a jerk if i don't give at least 20 but then the items that i'm buying it's the same it's a more expensive item it's the same bag that the guy brought me my chipotle in you know um why am i giving the guy you know a bigger tip for the same distance driving what's going on alissa hey how are you good what's going on why do you think that iphone users are paying

02:17:04 - 02:17:27 | Speaker 4:

more than android users and doordash um uh to be honest i was actually gonna say something um And I noticed one day, you know, I was just hanging out with my boyfriend, whatever, and he pulls up on his phone. Like, he's like, hey, look at this. You can add your EBT into your DoorDash payment. And I'm like, what?

02:17:28 - 02:17:30 | Speaker 2:

What's that? Explain what that is.

02:17:30 - 02:18:04 | Speaker 4:

So when you go into your account and you, you know, basically, like, add your payment method. Right. You know, you can go all the way down, and on his phone, he has an Android, you can do the add EBT option. What is EBT? It's food stamps. It's food stamps. Oh, okay. And I'm like, I don't have that option. And every single time we'll order, we compare. Mine is always at least $1 to $2 more than his, and I have no idea why.

02:18:04 - 02:18:11 | Speaker 2:

And you can't add EBT on the iPhone. So if you're doing EBT on DoorDash, they charge you more? That makes no sense.

02:18:12 - 02:18:19 | Speaker 4:

No, I'm saying it doesn't even give me the option on my iPhone, but it's an option on his. And then two weeks later, they took it off.

02:18:20 - 02:18:33 | Speaker 1:

Which is crazy because I have an iPhone, but I also have Mint Mobile. So I'm not like my, it's not like I have this huge payment plan. I'm not balling. I just got an iPhone, but pay for a cheap cell phone service. I don't get it either.

02:18:33 - 02:18:34 | Speaker 4:

I'm just, yeah.

02:18:35 - 02:18:41 | Speaker 3:

That's what I'm saying. This class action lawsuit is absolutely valid and will 100% happen. Don't you think?

02:18:41 - 02:19:13 | Speaker 2:

It has to, yeah. But can I also ask this question, too? Why have we become so lazy that the restaurant could be a two-minute drive from our house? Like, we work here at the studios. Across the street from us, there's, you know, a Kroger store. Why is it that we are too lazy to walk across the street and go and shop at Kroger, but we'll pay an Instacarter to go in there and get us four items, and it ends up costing us another $25? Explain that to me.

02:19:13 - 02:19:31 | Speaker 3:

One of my girlfriends just texted me, and she is so against any of the delivery apps, and she just texted me, get off your lazy ass and go get your own food. And she's right, even though I love DoorDash, by the way, so I'm making fun of myself here, But you do save so much money when you don't use it.

02:19:31 - 02:19:33 | Speaker 2:

Hold on a second. We have a breaking news story. Go ahead, Megan.

02:19:34 - 02:19:50 | Speaker 6:

I also wonder if at this point, I'm sorry, I don't want to get my point across, but I'll do it as a newscaster. Does it keep drunk drivers and high drivers off of the road at a much higher range so they can get their food delivered for their munchies?

02:19:50 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 2:

That's actually a good point. Next at 11. Megan, have you ever thought about doing television news? Oh my god, I would love to I would absolutely love to

02:19:59 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 6:

All of the

02:20:00 - 02:20:08 | Speaker 5:

bad puns and the ridiculous voices. You gotta randomly start doing that. Just randomly pull it out for no reason.

02:20:08 - 02:20:12 | Speaker 3:

Should I do it in a drive-thru? I'd like a number seven, please. Large meal.

02:20:12 - 02:20:22 | Speaker 7:

Back to you. Back to you. Why is it that the newscasters, the newscasters always will do the back to you thing, which is really, really funny.

02:20:22 - 02:20:26 | Speaker 5:

If you do that in the drive-thru, now back to you. Oh my god, that is the greatest.

02:20:26 - 02:20:26 | Speaker 4:

You don't have to do it.

02:20:26 - 02:20:58 | Speaker 7:

The back to you is the greatest thing That they'll ever do And then the other thing that they do That is so funny And I saw this other TikTok That I thought was great on that Is when the newscasters in the studio Always feel like they have to say thank you to you That is the reporter out there on the streets Like the reporter's reporting And they'll say thank you Don You know they'll do like that whole thing Like after Shannon does the dirty I don't go Thank you Shannon I appreciate you doing the dirty. Listen to this. Hold on, Zan. This is funny.

02:20:59 - 02:21:23 | Speaker 2:

We have a strongly worded email from Nick to address. He says, first, I'm a big fan of WGN News. Accurate, professional, and timely. What I am not a fan of is anchors saying thank you to every reporter after every reporter. Yeah, I'm not a fan of you. Oh, brother. Please stop thanking reporters. It's their job. Yeah, it is their job. Just move on and start reading the next story. We as viewers cannot care if anchors feel the need to be overpolite to feel reporters. Well, Nick, we agree, and we fixed the problem.

02:21:23 - 02:21:28 | Speaker 3:

That's the latest live from Wrigley Nancy Liu, WGN News

02:21:28 - 02:21:30 | Speaker 5:

Nancy, f*** you, parishioners

02:21:30 - 02:21:36 | Speaker 4:

Kelly, f*** you, Chicago Peace

02:21:36 - 02:21:44 | Speaker 2:

We're live all morning long from Lollapalooza Here in Grant Park Alright, Dan, f*** you, that does it for us this morning Thanks so much

02:21:44 - 02:21:47 | Speaker 7:

I love that, that is so great

02:21:47 - 02:21:51 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30

02:21:51 - 02:21:53 | Speaker 7:

All right, what do you got in this hour's Dirty on 30?

02:21:54 - 02:22:12 | Speaker 4:

Well, let's start off with, and I have to say spoiler alert, even though this is a singing competition show, so if you watch it and you don't already know, come on. But season 23 of The Voice ended with a win for Team Nile and host Carson Daly thanking Blake Shelton for 23 incredible seasons.

02:22:12 - 02:22:17 | Speaker 6:

The winner of season 23 of The Voice is...

02:22:21 - 02:22:41 | Speaker 4:

Gina Miles Gina Miles even though our very own Grace West who is right here from Canton in the Detroit area she didn't get the title but for a lot of us she's still victorious

02:22:41 - 02:22:44 | Speaker 7:

Carson's kind of stealing that from Ryan Seacrest

02:22:44 - 02:22:45 | Speaker 4:

yeah that was a long pause

02:22:45 - 02:22:55 | Speaker 7:

you can't do that Carson like that's been already patented by Ryan Seacrest that you do the long pause, you know?

02:22:56 - 02:23:02 | Speaker 4:

Before reading the winner, by the way, Carson Daly did say this was the closest margin of victory in The Voice's entire history.

02:23:03 - 02:23:19 | Speaker 7:

I can't believe that you and the dirty are just going right over the fact that Ryan Seacrest has a lawsuit on his hands for Carson stealing his way to announce. I don't know if... Do you not have loyalty towards our iHeartRadio brother?

02:23:19 - 02:23:24 | Speaker 4:

He is down one job right now. Does Ryan care?

02:23:25 - 02:23:26 | Speaker 7:

He does need the money.

02:23:26 - 02:23:28 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, you're right, Mike.

02:23:28 - 02:23:30 | Speaker 7:

I mean, that was, come on.

02:23:30 - 02:23:34 | Speaker 6:

The winner of season 23 of The Voice is...

02:23:38 - 02:23:50 | Speaker 4:

Gina Miles! I've always wondered this, and we should ask Ryan. Do producers tell you to count in your head To a certain number

02:23:50 - 02:23:52 | Speaker 7:

I wonder about that too

02:23:52 - 02:24:00 | Speaker 4:

Honestly Like is it so perfectly timed with You know fireworks and the music And everything else that there's a count In your head you have to do

02:24:00 - 02:24:13 | Speaker 7:

He did like when he started doing that Like on I think it might have been the second season Because I don't think the first season he was doing that Because remember the first season He had to deal with you know Dunkelman Like jumping in and trying to steal things from him

02:24:13 - 02:24:24 | Speaker 5:

Right I hope that he does do it I hope there's a camp, like a Michael Jordan camp, where Ryan Seacrest hosted it, and he's like, all right, nine seconds. If you don't do nine seconds, there's drills and all this other stuff.

02:24:24 - 02:24:34 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, right? If you have Netflix, they're doing a big password-searing crackdown, and it has officially begun in the United States.

02:24:35 - 02:24:38 | Speaker 7:

Oh, that's me. I'm sorry. I was doing a Ryan Seacrest pause on that.

02:24:38 - 02:24:47 | Speaker 1:

Netflix is going to be looking at users' IP addresses to determine where they're sitting at any particular moment. not to gather geographic data for other purposes.

02:24:48 - 02:25:00 | Speaker 6:

At one point, the company estimated 100 million people worldwide were freeloading using someone else's password. For someone who lives outside your household, their profile can be converted to a new...

02:25:00 - 02:25:19 | Speaker 5:

membership that they pay for. Or you can shell out an additional $7.99 a month to keep them on your account. Analysts have long said this could set a new standard. Whatever Netflix decides to do, probably a lot of other services are going to emulate that in some way. Yeah, and Netflix said

02:25:19 - 02:25:36 | Speaker 2:

they are going to start blocking devices that attempt to access a Netflix account if you're not paying that $8 sharing fee. Former American Idol winner Samantha Diaz, or Just Sam as she was known during her time on the show, is back to singing in New York City subways for money.

02:25:40 - 02:25:43 | Speaker 4:

Is this her singing in the subway? No, this

02:25:43 - 02:26:19 | Speaker 2:

is her singing. This was like a promo thing that she did for the show, but she won Idol back in 2020. Won it. Was the winner. She's got a great voice. Yep. But she said she's back to making her living off of the change that people leave in her little donation box now And she posted and deleted something from Instagram, but I was able to screen grab it And it said, I was super embarrassed to be going back to the trains I didn't want people to know that I legit needed the money I didn't want people to know that it wasn't optional And she said, you know, she's really disappointed for allowing herself to fall so low after winning American Idol

02:26:19 - 02:27:12 | Speaker 4:

So it's interesting I wonder how much these guys make. I've always wondered, like, the people that, and I see it when I go to Chicago, are standing on street corners that are entertaining you. Like, there's that guy that dresses up in, like, all silver in Chicago. You ever seen him on Michigan Avenue? Yep. How much money are they, you know, pulling down doing that and going out on the streets and entertaining like that? It makes me wonder on that. It also makes me wonder, have you guys, do you guys drive when you're out of here? I know that you go towards Orchard Lake, right? Yes. Do any of you guys go towards M5? Do you ever see, there's now this family that has been out on the street, right on the side of the road, and it's like a whole family. Like, it's mom, dad, like the kids and everybody, and they're standing there with signs trying to get money.

02:27:12 - 02:27:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:27:13 - 02:27:53 | Speaker 4:

And then they, I saw them the other day, and I was thinking to myself, first off, man, it would look so dangerous how close that they were. and I ended up giving them money, and I thought to myself, I'm like, they're there every single day. Like, that's their area that they go to. But how much can you make doing that? You know what I mean? Like, how much goes down? I feel bad for them, and I know that there are people that will tell you that you shouldn't give to them, that you should give to organizations that help out, you know, those. But when I see the kids that are there, I'm like, this is awful. Yeah, but I've often wondered what the amount of money is that you can make doing something like that. So she's going back into the subway doing it.

02:27:53 - 02:28:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah. The upcoming HBO show, you may have seen some previews for The Idol. This is the one starring Lily Rose Depp, Johnny Depp's daughter, and Abel Tesfaye, a.k.a. The Weeknd. It's being slammed after its debut this week at Cannes, the Cannes Film Festival, where it screened its first two episodes. And it's being slammed because people are saying it's basically porn. It is co-created by Sam Levinson of Euphoria fame, But The Idol is about an up-and-coming pop singer as she gets caught up in a relationship with this, like, sinister self-help guru played by Abel. And those who saw it described certain scenes as torture porn. One person said it's, like, rape fantasy. And I can't even describe to you the 10-minute scene in episode two that everybody's talking about because it is, holy crap, like, really, really dirty what's happening. But not getting the best reviews because of the content, so. And lastly, the Tic Tac account for a Dairy Queen in Shelby Township, Michigan, recently posted a video claiming that the cherry-flavored cone dip is being discontinued.

02:28:58 - 02:29:15 | Speaker 1:

I love coming on here to tell you guys when Dairy Queen has a new product, but unfortunately today I have some bad news, and I feel like a lot of people will be upset about this. I don't know when or if it's returning, but Dairy Queen is discontinuing their cherry cone dip. It's already sold out in our warehouse, so once we deplete the inventory in the store, we'll be sold out.

02:29:15 - 02:29:24 | Speaker 2:

That was my childhood, was getting a vanilla cone cherry dip at DQ. And we put something up on our Instagram. We put a little poll about whether or not you like the cherry dip.

02:29:25 - 02:29:25 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:29:25 - 02:29:26 | Speaker 2:

I am disappointed with you all.

02:29:26 - 02:29:36 | Speaker 3:

So the poll results right now, you can either vote yes, you love it, or nah, it's nasty. And that's nastiest up 64%. What's wrong with you?

02:29:36 - 02:29:37 | Speaker 4:

No, I agree on that.

02:29:37 - 02:29:43 | Speaker 3:

And Shannon, I'm part of the 64%. What? Yeah. You better go vote. Go sit in that chair over there.

02:29:43 - 02:29:49 | Speaker 4:

I think that if you don't do the chocolate dip Thank you Or don't they even have like caramel that's also available too

02:29:49 - 02:29:52 | Speaker 2:

They had like a butterscotch for a while Do they still have it?

02:29:52 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 4:

I think they do And I'm telling you, try the churro one while it lasts That sounds really good I smell a field trip Will they let you double dip?

02:30:00 - 02:30:04 | Speaker 2:

Like, can you dip into chocolate and then dip into, or will it not work that way?

02:30:04 - 02:30:13 | Speaker 3:

I'll be the guinea pig. I'll go try. Can somebody from Toledo tell me what it's about? Is it DQ or Nettie's? Which one's better? Is DQ even worth going out to? Because I don't think it's-

02:30:13 - 02:30:19 | Speaker 2:

Megan, DQ is great. Mm-hmm. It's good stuff. And, like, honestly, a blizzard is the best.

02:30:20 - 02:30:27 | Speaker 3:

I couldn't even tell you the last- I was probably seven the last time I went to a DQ. I like the mom and pops better than DQ. Which, Mojo, I know you disagree with me.

02:30:27 - 02:30:28 | Speaker 2:

I disagree because-

02:30:28 - 02:30:29 | Speaker 3:

I like the little neighborhood joints.

02:30:30 - 02:30:39 | Speaker 2:

Some of the mom and pops are good. Some of them I go to, it's either like watered down or it, you know, tastes like too creamy.

02:30:39 - 02:30:47 | Speaker 3:

It really depends on what you're in the mood for. Because like if I want a shake or something or a malt, I'm going to Culver's, period. If I want like a blizzard. Yeah, period. Culver's all day.

02:30:47 - 02:30:48 | Speaker 2:

Culver's the best.

02:30:49 - 02:30:50 | Speaker 3:

But those are all chains.

02:30:50 - 02:30:51 | Speaker 2:

The concrete one's the greatest too.

02:30:52 - 02:30:55 | Speaker 3:

Like, is Nettie's a chain? I don't even know.

02:30:55 - 02:30:57 | Speaker 2:

You support local. Is that what you're saying?

02:30:58 - 02:31:02 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but there's like 50 Netties here, but I don't know if that's just a Toledo thing.

02:31:02 - 02:31:03 | Speaker 2:

But it is a local person that owns it.

02:31:04 - 02:31:05 | Speaker 3:

Is it? Yeah.

02:31:05 - 02:31:15 | Speaker 2:

I think that if you're a local DQ, it's not the national guy, it's somebody locally. Billy the Kid's brother-in-law owns the DQ in Wayne.

02:31:15 - 02:31:15 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really?

02:31:16 - 02:31:17 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. That's a cool thing to do.

02:31:17 - 02:31:19 | Speaker 3:

How awesome would that be to own an ice cream shop?

02:31:19 - 02:31:22 | Speaker 2:

That'd be awesome. All right, for all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on MojoInTheWinning.com.

You are my wife when I post a picture of her on Instagram and she sits there and judges it the entire time about, and I'm like, you're a beautiful, beautiful woman. Why would you not let me post a picture without you getting upset with me?

02:33:35 - 02:33:36 | Unknown:

Unbelievable.

02:33:36 - 02:33:41 | Speaker 2:

All right, now back. I actually, hold on a second. I actually lost the place that I was in on the thing. Sorry.

02:33:42 - 02:33:45 | Speaker 3:

Now we got to hear it again. Megan's got to say, back to you.

02:33:45 - 02:33:46 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, back to you.

02:33:46 - 02:34:03 | Speaker 3:

Now, back to you. 95500 if you want to text her. If you want to call in about the show, you can do that. That's why I do middays. And I got this call after talking about the little bit of fear and anxiety that's coming with a new baby on the way. I'm going to pull this right now. Here we go.

02:34:03 - 02:34:36 | Speaker 1:

Hi. Is it Mike that's expecting a baby? Yeah, yeah. Who's this? You know what? This is Joe. I just want to say, I was on the highway listening to your show, and I had to break out the McDonald's napkins for Kleenex. He's the most amazing person. He's going to be a wonderful dad. Oh, thank you. I only wish that my ex-husband, when I was due, was half as emotional as what he is. So God bless him, and I wish more men thought like he did.

02:34:36 - 02:34:39 | Speaker 3:

It's one of the nicest things anybody has ever said to me. Thank you.

02:34:39 - 02:34:58 | Speaker 2:

excuse me ma'am are you listening what kind of a dj is he though that's what i'd like to know how did he how did he do intro in the uh the uh the bit there that's all i want to know i want to keep hearing is hey man get to the point get to the effort is it under 30 seconds are you sure

02:34:58 - 02:35:00 | Speaker 3:

can you play baby

02:35:00 - 02:35:05 | Speaker 2:

Was Baby really the right choice for what you wanted to do with that? Did you mention the call letters? Did you mention the positioner?

02:35:05 - 02:35:08 | Speaker 1:

You talked to the PD, the program director. Yeah.

02:35:08 - 02:35:14 | Speaker 2:

And then I realized that, like, Tony was on that, too, and I was waiting for it. I'm like, oh, no. Oh, no. That's what I'm going to get.

02:35:15 - 02:36:49 | Speaker 1:

No, honestly, that was beautiful. And that is a testament. And today has been a testament in a lot of respects. We've had a lot of topics from earlier this morning that you should go check out because there were a lot of personal stuff. I mean, you know, Shannon talking about needing some advice and dealing with your children through, you know, a divorce and blending families. Lydia talking about her hiding her boyfriend and what it's like, you know, growing up in an ethnic family where you're not really allowed to openly date in, you know, what that's like. I mean, so there's a lot of good stuff. So go check out Mojo in the morning and see it. But seriously, yesterday's Mike's conversation, it happened so far at the end of the show, like literally like as the midday show was supposed to be beginning. And it was very, very good. I listen to it, Mike. People think I'm crazy when I do this, but I listen to the show when we're done with the show. And especially lately because we've got a lot of new stuff going on and a lot of changes that have happened. And I want to hear what's happening and what we're talking about and try to get better. and I listened to that thing, I teared up in my car. I'm driving in my car. I know exactly what you're about to say, and I'm listening to the thing, and I'm going, Jesus, I'm crying right now. And I had my glasses on, too, and they're fogging up on me. But it was awesome. So thank you for sharing that. Thank you for doing what you do for the listeners, but for all of us here and for what you do for your family.

02:36:50 - 02:36:51 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for allowing me to.

02:36:51 - 02:37:41 | Speaker 1:

Well, listen, I love it. um now let's talk about something do we have any oh here we go let's do a light-hearted thing with you and uh the new baby uh coming and let's talk about and i know for a fact that there are a lot of guys that will probably have had this happen to them but the mixed signal have you ever in your relationship ever had it where you thought to yourself i'm going to get me some like we are we are going to go bake some cookies and we're going to have some some fun with each other because my you know girlfriend or wife or whoever you're talking about sex is uh is doing this and i know that this is the case because there was something on ali's phone that you saw that made

02:37:41 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 2:

you think that you're gonna get laid yeah so she's on the tail end of pregnancy and so like i know she's going to get to that point from past experiences where she's either going to eat a lot of spicy food or walk all the time or even sex to try to get the baby out so i'm that's in the back of my head and she's asking me to send pictures from her phone so i'm on her phone sending pictures from her phone to my phone and i noticed that there's a uh there's an app downloading as i'm doing that and i'm like oh what's that and it says think dirty and i'm like oh this is my moment this is it this is about to happen so i like no joke send the pictures set her phone down go upstairs and i don't know if you guys know this but i have a closet space in my house full of like like it's cyrillas and adam and eve and all sorts of different devices and yes oh yeah yeah you have a space like an entire closet not a whole space but the or not a whole closet a whole space like a whole shelf that's dedicated to that. And it's hidden from the kids, and they can't reach it or anything like that. So I go, and I go to our new bed, which I adjust to all the right positions. And I set out this stuff on the nightstand, and I'm even picking up the floor because I know she's going to be like, the floor is dirty, blah, blah, blah. And I know she'll like it if I pick up the floor and I put things in the clothes hamper. And she catches me putting some of the toys and other things onto the nightstand. and she goes, what are you doing? And I'm like, well, I saw the Think Dirty app and I figured, you know, you know, and I smile and she goes, the what? The Think Dirty app? You know, I was like, I assume that was like how you get ideas or maybe get in the mood or whatever because she likes to read those dirty books, like naughty novels or whatever they're called. She's like, it's not a dirty app. It is a clean eating app. It has nothing to do. Clean shopping app. It has nothing to do with dirty shopping. Clean shopping. Wait, what is it called? It's called the Think Dirty App. I have it on my phone. Oh, really? As soon as you said that, I was laughing because you can basically check your makeup or your shampoo, your skin care to make sure it doesn't have any toxic.

02:40:00 - 02:40:05 | Speaker 1:

ingredients are ingredients that are bad for you and it rates it rates the products has nothing to

02:40:05 - 02:40:24 | Speaker 3:

do with sex oh my god did you just put up the toys or yeah i kind of sat there with like one in my hand and went on the table like what now i mean i gotta put these back but what do you do you have

02:40:24 - 02:40:33 | Speaker 2:

it in one of those plastic containers that has like the lid locks on where you put like people put their kids toys in like what is your what are your toys and are they in their own toy box

02:40:33 - 02:40:51 | Speaker 3:

so they have the because I have the handcuffs that go through the mattress and come around the bed okay that is in a box oh yeah oh yeah I got then I have the rest of the stuff's in like the bags that they came in like the Cirillas or the Adam and Eve or whatever

02:40:51 - 02:41:00 | Speaker 2:

and so those are stored up in the they come in resealable bags Or they've never been open

02:41:00 - 02:41:03 | Speaker 3:

Just like the store bags Some of them have cases

02:41:03 - 02:41:29 | Speaker 2:

That's what I was wondering It truly is Your adult toys become like your kids toys You have to have places for them And you have to have ways to store them You put your video games back Back when they had video games Before you just download them to your games You'd have to put them back in their appropriate boxes And things like that So that the next time that you wanted to play that you knew exactly what you could play with.

02:41:29 - 02:41:32 | Speaker 3:

And I'm like an excited kid right now that hasn't played with his toys.

02:41:33 - 02:41:42 | Speaker 2:

How long has it been since you and Allie have played with your toy? About a month. So, wow.

02:41:42 - 02:41:45 | Speaker 3:

But she's literally doing anything now.

02:41:45 - 02:41:47 | Speaker 1:

It is so uncomfortable.

02:41:47 - 02:41:54 | Speaker 2:

Do you think that she's going to want to play with your toy before the baby's born? Maybe as a way to possibly have the baby?

02:41:55 - 02:42:06 | Speaker 3:

Well, that's what I, I mean, I think there's other ways too, but I know that's one of the options to induce labor or whatever it is, isn't it? Like sex and walking.

02:42:06 - 02:42:18 | Speaker 2:

They say that that's the case. Yeah, they say that that actually would happen. That for some reason there's something with the man's stuff that causes it, I guess. I don't know.

02:42:19 - 02:42:20 | Speaker 3:

844, have you ever had this happen?

02:42:21 - 02:43:20 | Speaker 2:

Which one? Which one? No, have you ever had a mixed signal from Chelsea? Yes My mixed signal from Chelsea was Sometimes she'll say she's going to take a shower before bed And that used to be a signal for me Because I'm thinking of myself And then I realized that she had a busy day Or she worked out that day And she was only taking a shower to go to bed So she could fall asleep And I get all excited So here's what ends up happening She jumps into the shower And when she goes and jumps into the shower I try to do like a quick little cleanup of myself, you know, pull out, you know, wipes and towels and stuff. Yeah. And I'm like cleaning myself up because I can't just jump in the shower with her. Right. Because then she'll be like, that's too much, too obvious. And I've actually had it, Mike, where like you pulled out the toys out of the closet. I'm laying it under the covers completely naked. Like surprise. And then she'll come, she's come into bed and she's wearing like the non-sexy pajamas. And I'm going, oh, this is not happening.

02:43:20 - 02:43:26 | Speaker 1:

what's her reaction when she pulls the covers back and she sees you well the the thing is it

02:43:26 - 02:43:52 | Speaker 2:

has happened a few times one time i just sat back practically pulled them off and she's like what are you doing like she was and another time i waited till she fell asleep and snuck out of bed to go get dressed but um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is our telephone number and it's funny because it It kind of goes back to the whole scheduling sex. Like, I wish that everything could be as easy as just that.

02:43:52 - 02:43:53 | Speaker 1:

You could be so prepared.

02:43:54 - 02:44:10 | Speaker 2:

Because every woman knows when their couple is going to have sex. Like, every woman, because you call the shots on that, right? Thanks. I mean, there's no guy that says, I know I'm having sex tonight. No. Well. You don't know for a fact you're having sex.

02:44:10 - 02:44:14 | Speaker 1:

You call it? Hell yeah. Sometimes you just got to, you know, not go crazy.

02:44:14 - 02:44:26 | Speaker 2:

By the way, you are so new to the show, I can't call you bullcrap on that. I promise you. But I guarantee you, when I get to know Sherelle, she'll tell me the truth of, he ain't calling crap.

02:44:26 - 02:44:32 | Speaker 1:

It's the way you kiss. Really? A kiss can lead to, it's preheating the oven before you bake the cookies.

02:44:32 - 02:44:38 | Speaker 2:

So you have the appropriate kiss that causes for her to always want to have it.

02:44:38 - 02:44:40 | Speaker 1:

It's a different, it's not a peck. It's a, you know what's about to happen.

02:44:40 - 02:44:52 | Speaker 2:

I call bullcrap on that one. Although I will tell you this, that you're a sexy man, so I don't know. It could be different. If this is true, teach me your ways. What's going on, Sarah?

02:44:53 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I just heard Mike talk about inducing labor. I recently had a third baby.

02:45:00 - 02:45:05 | Speaker 2:

two weeks before my due date, I went to acupuncture and baby came within 24 hours.

02:45:06 - 02:45:06 | Speaker 1:

Oh, wow.

02:45:07 - 02:45:08 | Speaker 2:

Is it sexy acupuncture?

02:45:10 - 02:45:22 | Speaker 1:

I'm sorry? Can Mike do it? Do they have an at-home kit for that one? I don't think so. I don't think Mike necessarily wants the baby here now. I think he wants to have sex now. Can you give him any advice on that, Sarah?

02:45:23 - 02:45:25 | Speaker 2:

Yes, take it really slow.

02:45:26 - 02:45:29 | Speaker 1:

It's been a month. You don't think this guy's taking it slow?

02:45:30 - 02:45:33 | Speaker 2:

Patience, and you better ask lots of questions.

02:45:34 - 02:45:35 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Amanda? It's Mojo in the Morning.

02:45:37 - 02:45:37 | Speaker 3:

Hi, how are you?

02:45:38 - 02:45:39 | Speaker 1:

Good. What's going on?

02:45:40 - 02:45:43 | Speaker 3:

So my fiancee calls the shots. I don't.

02:45:43 - 02:45:43 | Speaker 1:

Really?

02:45:44 - 02:45:46 | Speaker 3:

He tells me no all the time. He tells you no?

02:45:47 - 02:45:47 | Unknown:

What?

02:45:47 - 02:45:48 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, he tells me no.

02:45:49 - 02:45:51 | Speaker 1:

What kind of a guy are you married to?

02:45:51 - 02:45:58 | Speaker 3:

And why no? Like, is he just really tired, or what's the reason? Yeah, he's really tired. He is a garbage man, so he comes home exhausted. Okay.

02:45:59 - 02:46:04 | Speaker 1:

Now, that would be interesting. You hose him off, though, before he comes into the house, right?

02:46:05 - 02:46:05 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:46:06 - 02:46:16 | Speaker 1:

So, this is interesting. I've always wondered about these people that are the guys that don't want to have sex. I thought that that's just not even existent out there. I thought that was a unicorn.

02:46:18 - 02:46:20 | Speaker 3:

So did I, but apparently I'm marrying him.

02:46:22 - 02:46:24 | Speaker 1:

Listen to this lady. It took all her energy away.

02:46:24 - 02:46:25 | Speaker 3:

I mean, you sound so sad.

02:46:26 - 02:46:34 | Speaker 1:

My heart is just breaking for you. This guy needs to take care of you, for God's sakes. You sound like you're just so, like, down.

02:46:34 - 02:46:37 | Speaker 3:

Oh. Plus the gym, so that's why.

02:46:37 - 02:46:43 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. All right. Well, tell that garbage man. Hopefully he's not one of Shannon's garbage men.

02:46:44 - 02:46:48 | Speaker 2:

Ah, Drewski and Dank. Today's the day. They're going to my house.

02:46:48 - 02:46:49 | Speaker 1:

Elena, hi.

02:46:50 - 02:47:03 | Speaker 2:

Hi. I just wanted to say that Kevin is right. It's the kiss that starts it. Really? Yes, it's that. It's that slow, sensual, you know, and it's preheating the oven, baby.

02:47:03 - 02:47:05 | Speaker 1:

There you go. Is this weird?

02:47:05 - 02:47:06 | Speaker 2:

Please don't. Don't do that.

02:47:06 - 02:47:36 | Speaker 1:

After the show, Mike and I are going to get together with Kevin, and we're going to find out how he does this kiss thing. Yeah, kiss my hand and show me. Do you remember if you're a teenage girl, do you remember as a teenage girl your friends would all sit there and you'd talk about how to kiss and stuff? Like when you guys would be all hanging out with each other? Yeah. Like, the boys would all hear these stories from the girls in the class, and they're like, show us. What's going on? The whole deal is. Now, guys are going to be like that. It's going to be Mike and I with Kevin.

02:47:36 - 02:47:37 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Lord.

02:47:38 - 02:47:41 | Speaker 1:

So, is it the kiss on the lips, kiss on the neck, or kiss in other places?

02:47:42 - 02:47:53 | Speaker 2:

It's the kiss on the lips, and then it, like, slowly trails down to the neck, and then it's like, there you go. You're getting, you're starting to, you know, you're ready to bang, bang, boom.

02:47:53 - 02:47:55 | Speaker 1:

Then the hands start moving.

02:47:55 - 02:48:00 | Speaker 2:

And the hands start moving The body start moving Come on, Elena, you know what's going on

02:48:00 - 02:48:06 | Speaker 1:

But then what do you do with the entire box of toys That you pull out of the closet From your toy chest

02:48:06 - 02:48:10 | Speaker 2:

Hey, sometimes you just gotta push them things To the side

02:48:10 - 02:48:18 | Speaker 1:

Use the toys the Lord gave you Mike, that's the problem I think you pulled the toys out too fast I got way too excited way too quick

02:48:18 - 02:48:20 | Speaker 2:

You were double fisting toys, Mike

02:48:20 - 02:51:15 | Speaker 1:

Thanks for listening to us and not your better judgment. This is Mojo in the Morning. bojo the morning show war of the roses tomorrow uh if you think that you're being cheated on you can text cheater to 95500 and we'll get you on a future show it's going to take a little bit of time obviously for us to get you on but we will get you definitely in the mix for that um this week on the show we're gearing up towards Memorial Day and then next week kicks off all the Taylor Swift giveaways and we have a ton of them so get ready for that we have a bunch of tickets actually to be honest with you we've got so many tickets that we're going to do like multiple contests so different contests some will require your efforts in getting to us in person. Others will require your efforts in listening and making sure that you're listening longer for things that we're doing. And then there are a few of them that might just be like random. surprise like crazy contest that we're going to be putting together so make sure that you keep on listening to mojo in the morning for an opportunity to win taylor swift tickets kicking off tuesday morning on the show right after uh the uh the memorial day holiday it's hard to believe by the way that it's coming up on memorial day weekend which is kind of like the unofficial kickoff to summer sure is and actually it's interesting i want to i'll give you yeah you can woo woo it um do you guys want to know the most dangerous memorial day travel hours because you know how we talked about how it's going to be like one of the most you know go away get out of the house travel weekend a lot of people are going to be on the roads a lot of people you know that live in michigan always do the up north thing well if you're planning a road trip on memorial day you should know the most dangerous times to be on the road between 8 p.m. and 12 a.m. They say that a lot of times people will go out and they'll try to do the middle of the night driving. And this is according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. And they

02:51:15 - 02:51:47 | Speaker 1:

say that Memorial Day weekend, middle of the night drivers tend to end up getting themselves into more problems because they say a lot of times you're just not alert enough to be driving at that time or you're driving areas, like especially those that sometimes people will road trip down to Florida or, you know, do like these across the country type road trips. And it's probably not the greatest idea for you to be driving in the middle of the night like that. So you got to be careful if you are going to be out and about doing that. Yeah.

02:51:47 - 02:51:50 | Speaker 2:

Well, your body just naturally needs sleep in the middle of the night.

02:51:51 - 02:51:59 | Speaker 1:

A couple of stories here. The U.S. Surgeon General, Dr. Murthy.

02:52:00 - 02:52:00 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Vivek Murthy.

02:52:01 - 02:52:53 | Speaker 1:

He issued a report warning of the potential dangers of social media. He said that it possesses a profound risk of harming the mental health and well-being of children and adolescents. The report notes that social media can actually benefit some users, but says that it's frequently used to actually, you know, change a child's brain development. And a child's brain development changed with the majority of the or with staying on it for a long period of time. So it's not a good idea. So he's actually calling upon parents, tech firms and lawmakers to protect young people. The White House is building a group, by the way, to talk about kids' online safety. And some people are saying that they need to come up with better ways to do time limits on this. Because you can turn off anything that you pretty much want to do.

02:52:53 - 02:53:01 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I mean, the red flag is you hear some of these CEOs and some of these tech founders who say that they don't allow their children on these platforms. Yeah, they know.

02:53:01 - 02:53:41 | Speaker 1:

How about the CEOs of these tech companies that don't go on themselves? that a lot of them actually will say like you will hear these stories all the time about some of these people that are like the cfos of facebook or meta or whatever and they're not even on these things um ford motor company is reversing its position about getting rid of am radio in its vehicles i have not listened to an am radio station in forever i'd use i used to listen to WWJ, which is our big news station here. I do every morning. And I haven't listened to it in a long, long time. And honestly, one of the reasons I don't listen to it, it doesn't come in that clear.

02:53:41 - 02:53:47 | Speaker 2:

Well, mine is so spotty. It goes out all the time. I listen for like 10 minutes, my first 10 minutes of my drive, and then

02:53:47 - 02:55:15 | Speaker 1:

I switch it over. And I can't tell you at all when I would listen to WJR. And it honestly is the same thing. I'm so used to hearing, you know, more clear signal coming at my way and i remember when the lions moved when the lions moved from fm and they moved to am there were some days where i would listen to the game you couldn't even hear them it was like and honestly you didn't want to hear them to be honest but ford is saying that they are going to keep am radio in their 2020 ford ford lincoln and ford vehicles their gas and electric vehicles their ceo uh jim farley who i did not know is you know he's related to chris farley matter of fact if you look at him he looks like the late great chris farley yeah the legend chris farley there's there's uh there's yeah they're i don't know if they're cousins or something like that but he said after discussion with the uh people that you know work for the national association of broadcasters that because the emergency alert system is so important especially for rural areas that they're going to continue to put those radios in those uh cars um i on be honest with you i think that's probably i mean what does it take you know what i mean I know that some don't have it, but also, you know, there are some people, like, that still, they don't even, you know, like, there's some old people that are driving in these cars. Actually, maybe let's just do this. Let's not get rid of AM radio. Let's just get the driver's licenses away from some of these old people.

02:55:15 - 02:55:25 | Speaker 6:

Don't you think it's, like, a safety thing? Because, like, I know in a case of an emergency here in Toledo, it's always been turned on 1370. Like, that is what you listen to in case of an emergency when the power goes out.

02:55:25 - 02:55:31 | Speaker 1:

Are you saying to me that you are not the person that they tune to in the Toledo area?

02:55:31 - 02:55:47 | Speaker 6:

Well, even, well, I don't know what you guys do in your markets, but when there's an emergency here, we'll give you the updates and then we'll say, go listen to our sister. Like they're the one that is going to be deep diving it. We'll give you like updates, but they'll be discussing everything.

02:55:48 - 02:56:52 | Speaker 1:

They'll come up with it more. Honestly, the days of, it used to be that if you wanted to know a snow day, you go right to the radio stations and no longer is that the case anymore because now you just go right online and you get it online or they they text it to you but i guess in the in the case of an emergency honestly in the case of emergency you should always turn towards the radio station yeah and that emergency is taylor swift tickets if you want to get taylor swift tickets you know you got to listen to the radio station in order to get those but of course it's us on the fm station did you guys hear this story do you hear about the fan that has listed some of the water from that downpouring concert that taylor did at gillette stadium in uh new england saturday night they had such rain coming down it was so bad but taylor continued to perform through it and a fan got a bunch of rainwater together and is now selling rainwater from the taylor swift concert on Facebook Marketplace for the low, low price of $250.

02:56:53 - 02:57:15 | Speaker 5:

Taylor Swift, we told you about the singer sold out in rain-soaked Saturday's show at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Well, now listen to this. That rainwater is up for sale. Yes, jars of droplets from Taylor's Bejeweled Heiress tour. Look at this. Oh, my God. They're popping up online for hundreds of dollars, although it looks like web retailers have started pulling some of these posts down.

02:57:15 - 02:57:18 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I'm sorry dude I turned your mic It's okay

02:57:18 - 02:57:45 | Speaker 4:

I love that people were saying Is it What is it Stadium rain Or is it parking lot rain Because there's a difference And you want to know What else is so funny About that story Is that the jars Were from A local weed dispensary Called Happy Valley And so People were like Hmm Maybe Taylor Swift Needs to realize That there's some Stoner Swifty crossover And she could You know She should take that Into consideration For marketing Some of her future merchandise

02:57:45 - 02:57:46 | Speaker 1:

Oh, man.

02:57:46 - 02:57:51 | Speaker 3:

There is precedence. You remember Tom Brady's sand from his retirement video that sold on eBay.

02:57:52 - 02:58:15 | Speaker 1:

There's a market. A TikToker, listen to this one. A TikToker is going viral for his video from Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. The concert goer is divided into eras, and he actually is going viral because he eats a hot dog for each era of Taylor Swift's era tour.

02:58:16 - 02:58:32 | Speaker 2:

I went to the era's tour and ate a hot dog during every era. Lover dog. Fearless dog. Evermore dog. Reputation dog.

02:58:35 - 02:58:43 | Speaker 1:

Speak now dog. Yeah, so he's basically eating a hot dog. So how many eras have there been of Taylor right now? Isn't it 12? Is it?

02:58:44 - 02:58:44 | Speaker 6:

I don't know.

02:58:44 - 02:59:51 | Speaker 1:

12 hot dogs? By the way, you think that the price of tickets are expensive for Taylor's tour? Imagine the price of the vending that's going on at the eras tour and how much money that you're going to be spending on that. It's craziness. I just have a couple more stories here that I want to get to. This is a big one for anybody that is going through any kind of a divorce right now. A tech researcher warns people who are going through divorce that you should wipe your routers off when you break up with your ex. And this goes through even just normal breakups if you guys live together. because they say that your router carries some confidential information about you, including some passwords that are still might be on there from, you know, you having used that router. And they're saying that that is one of the things that they recommend as you go through like a split. Like if you're going through a nasty breakup that your significant other, if they stay at that place with that, you know, with that same router that they might actually be doing something crazy with getting into your information.

02:59:51 - 02:59:54 | Speaker 4:

Am I dumb? I didn't know your routers saved information.

02:59:54 - 02:59:55 | Speaker 1:

I didn't either.

02:59:55 - 02:59:58 | Speaker 4:

I thought they just were like the middleman between the internet and your home.

02:59:58 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 1:

I mean, I would think they'd.

03:00:00 - 03:01:21 | Speaker 2:

my normal like what i have in my home wi-fi is not doing that but i don't know i'm not i guess i'm not smart enough to figure that out uh and this is a big one here right now uh this is one that has gotten to get a lot of uh attention from uh from people um target stores are coming under fire because they've kind of gone both ways on this the retail giant is pulling some of the lgbtq friendly kids clothing in their stores after facing a customer backlash in hopes to not become like what happened with bud light where bud light ended up getting themselves you know into a little bit of trouble that's now caused for their sales of bud light products to have issues where there's been people protesting them target declined to say whether they're removing all the items or they're removing just some of them that have been complained about by some people who are not happy with the uh stuff that they're going to be selling for a gay pride month um there was a one of the things that they removed a tuck friendly women's swimsuit that allows trans women uh who have not had gender-affirming operations to conceal their private parts.

03:01:22 - 03:01:36 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but it was more than that, too. To be fair, it was just a wider base bottom, and there are lots of people who were born with those lady bits who still need the wider base at the bottom. They're not necessarily just for other parts.

03:01:36 - 03:02:16 | Speaker 2:

And then they also said that there's some shirts and some things that were carried in the kids' sections that they thought that they shouldn't have had them in the kids' sections. They should have had them in another section of the store. So it'll be interesting to see if they're faced with that. I saw that Bud is buying back the beer that is not selling from some of the liquor stores or party stores. They're starting to buy it back right now because there's an expiration date on beer. So they are telling some of the retailers that they'll actually buy it back as a way to hopefully be able to make nice with the people that sell it so that they don't just pull all their product completely out of the stores.

03:02:16 - 03:02:20 | Speaker 3:

To be fair, it probably tastes the same expired as it does not expired.

03:02:20 - 03:02:21 | Speaker 6:

Oh, have you ever had bad beer?

03:02:22 - 03:02:22 | Speaker 3:

No.

03:02:22 - 03:02:23 | Speaker 6:

It's bad.

03:02:23 - 03:02:24 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but Bud Light's bad, too.

03:02:24 - 03:02:25 | Speaker 6:

Oh.

03:02:25 - 03:02:27 | Speaker 3:

When you buy it back, though, what are you doing with it?

03:02:28 - 03:03:05 | Speaker 2:

I think that they're probably... Disposing of it. Yeah, either disposing of it or maybe, I don't know, they're giving it to somebody. Rebottle. I mean, what does expired beer taste like? Does it just taste like flat? Yeah, flat and watery. That does it for today. Have a great one. If you missed any portion of today's show and you want to hear the podcast of it, go check it out. Round the room real quick. Favorite conversation that we had from this morning's show or favorite thing that we did? What do you guys think? I like Megan's newscaster voice. That's an easy one. I did love the dirty app, Mike. And I also liked, Mojo, you talking about your buddy who has a hack for not paying the parking meter. Not feeding the parking meter at the very start of the show

03:03:14 - 03:03:36 | Speaker 2:

I mean honestly I always like it You know I do when we talk about Stuff that you know we're personally Kind of conflicted with and your Topic about your daughter And her trying to deal with The fact that You and her father are both In new relationships and how do You as a divorced kid deal with that I thought that was extremely relatable

03:03:36 - 03:03:52 | Speaker 3:

Can I have three favorites? Yes I liked the Lydia conversation. Very good. We did a good show today, you guys. Yeah, the Shannon conversation. The one you just talked about. And the voice, the newscaster voice. I agree with Kev. That was really funny. Megan,

03:03:52 - 03:03:54 | Speaker 2:

do you have any favorites from today or now?

03:03:55 - 03:04:08 | Speaker 5:

Absolutely not. I don't enjoy the show. No, I thought the conversation we had about Shannon Lucy and the divorce was huge, especially being a product of divorce. I think, you know, it affects a lot of people. And I thought it was
