Mojo, Shannon, Mike, Megan, Kev, KP, Lydia in the phone numbers 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548-Texas, 95500. Megan's in the studios this morning with us in the Toledo studios.

00:05:17 - 00:05:19 | Speaker 1:

I feel this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

00:05:20 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 4:

I knew it. You should have saw how excited I was when I saw the Wrangler in the parking lot.

00:05:23 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 2:

I was like, yeah, I know whose car that is. Because this is the first time you guys have met in person. Yes, yes.

00:05:28 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 4:

And to the listeners out there If you've loved Megan I can honestly say She's everything and more

00:05:33 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 1:

It's a lie but I'll take it

00:05:36 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 3:

The first meeting between you two guys Because you just started on Monday With us Kev And you still haven't met Mike So we've got to get that to happen Can't wait for that to happen And Megan when she's in here In the studios Usually is because Shannon is not Or she's got something going on But today Shannon, you have to leave the show a little early because your little one, your superstar Smith is graduating from kindergarten today. From preschool.

00:06:06 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 2:

He's going on to normally I think they do a kindergarten graduation but he'll be joining Lucy at her school next year so he's going from like a young fives preschool program to actual elementary school to kindergarten.

00:06:18 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 3:

That is so cool and they have a ceremony

00:06:20 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 2:

for that. They have a big ceremony. He's singing a song or two. Oh, that's awesome. I was practicing yesterday.

00:06:27 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 3:

It requires that you will... What time do you have to hop out of here?

00:06:31 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 2:

I'll head out just after 8 o'clock.

00:06:33 - 00:06:46 | Speaker 4:

Obviously, your son is the star of the day, but for all the moms that are there, they better watch out. Shannon's going to be the best looking mom in the entire room. Oh my God. I'm just being honest. I'm just being honest. I'm just being honest.

00:06:47 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 3:

You know that you're sucking up when you're so excited to see Megan and you're telling Shannon and how great she looks.

00:06:54 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 4:

I like it. What's wrong with that? Yeah. Oh, my God. Mike. It makes you ask, though, what do you want? Yeah, what is it? I want good vibes, man. That's what good vibes. You can have it.

00:07:05 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 3:

We'll take it. All right. You got anything else to say to anybody? What about me? Look at me. How beautiful.

00:07:11 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 4:

This is what I will say to you. The music bed choice that you had yesterday, I was feeling the vibes. So you got to live up to it today.

00:07:17 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 3:

I got to tell this story. So at the end of the show, so we always will talk about, oh that was a good break that time that was a good topic that topic kind of stunk and we'll do that at the end of the show we go to the end of the show just kind of recapping what everybody thought of the show and Kevin's compliment to me was I thought your music beds that you played in and out of commercial breaks was fantastic I thought it was just I had good music beds that were rolling so I appreciate that that actually brings you know what that that's sometimes that's part of the plan right we got to have good stuff and our deep voice guy announcer guy's got to have some good stuff to say so everybody's part of this thing um Megan you had something happen to you yesterday in uh in downtown Toledo first off the weather is perfect for this but for those that don't know this the Toledo iHeart stations has

00:08:15 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

one of the coolest vehicles ever it's what it's a golf cart because they're street legal in downtown toledo they have their own golf cart yeah and it's all logoed up and everything it has a big iheart radio logo on it or it it did it's now kind of morphed and hard to read and i think that's my fault um but i'll tell you why in a second but it is funny that it has a license plate and i had to park it yesterday and i couldn't find the license plate and i didn't know what to put in on the parking app i was like uh golf cart it's a golf cart guys wait do you have to play pay a full meter for a golf cart yeah which is kind of bs when you think about it you're taking up the same space well am i though i'd park it on the sidewalk if they'd let me i'll hop curbs it's not mine i don't care um and that's really the mentality i had when i went to this coffee shop yesterday we had a brand new one open up in downtown if you didn't know brew house opened up downtown so i think this is their second location you're welcome um i really wanted to try because i actually had never been to the one out mommy and so i i went over and uh this woman was leaving and she was parked right in front of me and it was parallel parking because we're in downtown and um she rolled down her window while i was walking in she goes i'm so sorry to bother you but this is a massive truck and i have a new hitch and i can't see it on my backup camera can you help me back up and I said absolutely and I went behind her car and I expected her to do what normal people do when you back up and that's like slowly let your foot off the brake and just roll not what this woman decided to do she must have been in a rush because she full throttled backwards I could not tell her to stop at time and her hitch smashed into the golf

00:10:00 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 5:

She was like, oh, my God. And I went, it's not mine. I don't care. And I just walked away. And she looked so confused. Like, did you not drive it there? I was like, no, I drove it. But I just don't care that you hit it. I just walked away. Because it's not mine. Yeah. It's not mine. I don't care. Is the golf cart okay? I mean, it's got a big dent in it. But I don't care. It's not mine.

00:10:21 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 2:

You're not going to say anything? You're not going to forewarn Scott or anybody like that?

00:10:26 - 00:10:30 | Speaker 3:

This is a good reminder to all of us to never let Megan McBorrow anything of ours.

00:10:31 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 5:

I didn't hit anything. Who cares? I didn't hit it.

00:10:34 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 2:

This is why we can't have nice things around here.

00:10:36 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 5:

Correct. But if I hit it, I would have told somebody, but I didn't hit anything.

00:10:39 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 2:

You do that thing when somebody notices and goes, what? There's a dent in it? Oh, my God. How did that happen?

00:10:46 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to say it was probably the new guy.

00:10:48 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 2:

By the way, did you know that we were talking about this, Shannon and I were with you guys before a break, But did you know that if you, like, guide somebody to back up or, and Shannon, you brought this up, if you wave somebody into traffic.

00:11:04 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, like if somebody's coming out of a gas station and they're trying to, like, cut through, you know.

00:11:08 - 00:11:12 | Speaker 2:

And they get into an accident or they hit something that you are actually at fault just like they're at fault.

00:11:13 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely not. You're liable. No way. That can't be reasonable.

00:11:16 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 2:

No, so technically, Shannon and I are telling you, Megan, that you are the reason why this woman is not going to have to pay for that golf cart. You are going to have to pay for that golf cart. Well, good luck. They're going to take it right out of that check of yours. With what money?

00:11:33 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 5:

What money do you think is in that paycheck?

00:11:35 - 00:11:42 | Speaker 2:

You thought that your college loans were the only thing coming out of that check. A golf cart payment is coming out of that check.

00:11:42 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 4:

What is it called when they garnish my wages? What are you going to do?

00:11:45 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 2:

Yep, they're going to garnish it, and they're going to make sure that that thing gets paid for, or they can bring it into a body. Do they bring golf carts into body shops? Do you bring that into it?

00:11:55 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 4:

No. You know what you do? You lift the hood, you punch it from the bottom sign, and you say, good enough. You close it, you walk away.

00:12:02 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 2:

Pop it out. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. By the way, has anybody ever had that happen to them? Because I've always feared that. I let people in all the time. I don't care about the whole liable thing. But I'll do the whole thing, let them in But I fear that I'm not going to see something That, you know, is going on And then the person's going to pull out And get themselves into an accident If that's ever happened, you'll have to call us up What's up, Jackie?

00:12:29 - 00:12:36 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I used to Work for my mom at a restaurant We had like a John Deere Gator, like a little golf cart type thing

00:12:36 - 00:12:42 | Speaker 2:

Oh, those things are badass I always wanted one of those But the people on my street would probably not like it

00:12:42 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 6:

yeah they wouldn't appreciate it we had one and i ran into the side of the building with it it just kind of pretended i did it i just brought the stock back in and left it go and she came out was like what happened i don't know

00:12:55 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 2:

those things by the way are so cool those and then it was his polaris or something like that polaris is my girlfriend julie has one because she lives on a farm but those things are so i've always thought to myself like that would be the coolest thing ever and then to talk about like parking spots with the golf cart yeah i always wanted to get a moped because you can then park

00:13:16 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 6:

in moped parking have you ever seen that sometimes moped parking yeah i've had a moped could you

00:13:23 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 2:

imagine me on a moped would that not be the funniest thing ever the moped would be riding

00:13:27 - 00:13:40 | Speaker 6:

me not me in the moped i think i think kevin should get a gator because then he can just throw the he could throw the cone in the back like yesterday and just park that way oh that's right

00:13:40 - 00:14:17 | Speaker 2:

Look at you recalling something here right now. That's unbelievable on that. Kevin doesn't even know what you're talking about. Oh, there we go. They see that? Kevin just had this look on his face like, was I here yesterday? I got to turn my headphones on. I don't remember exactly what you're saying. Jackie, say hi to Kev. Hey, Kev. Nice to meet you. What up, Jackie? By the way, way too positive. I don't know if this is going to be a good fit for us, but we'll have to figure this thing out. I like a texter 231 that said that Megan being uncomfortable when Kevin was saying hi to her and good morning and all the compliments is so Megan because she still can't take compliments.

00:14:17 - 00:14:18 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely.

00:14:18 - 00:14:20 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, Stephanie? How you doing?

00:14:22 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 1:

How are you? I'm good.

00:14:23 - 00:14:23 | Speaker 2:

What's up? Good.

00:14:24 - 00:14:27 | Speaker 1:

So I was actually hit by somebody that was waved out into traffic.

00:14:28 - 00:14:31 | Speaker 2:

Oh, jeez. What happened? Tell the story.

00:14:31 - 00:14:50 | Speaker 1:

I was driving down Telegraph Road in Flat Rock. So, like, it's a bunch of restaurants, all fast food. Well, this girl was getting Taco Bell before she went to breakfast. And then somebody waved her at a Taco Bell that was in the right lane. But I was in the left lane, and they didn't realize that I was coming. She didn't see me, and I'm in a big SUV, and she's in a little car. And she pulled out right in front of me.

00:14:51 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. Did they figure out anything with the accident? Like, did they say who it was or know anything about it?

00:15:00 - 00:15:13 | Speaker 8:

So she got the ticket because nobody else was literally there. Like, the guy that waved didn't even stay. And I ended up, like, comforting her. She was 16. She was scared. She was crying. She was worried her parents were going to be upset. Aw. You're nice.

00:15:14 - 00:15:15 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but you hit me.

00:15:16 - 00:15:24 | Speaker 5:

That's right. I know. Aw, I'm so sad that you're sad. I'm so sad about it. Yeah. Thank you for the call. I appreciate it, Stephanie. Poncho, this happened to you?

00:15:25 - 00:15:37 | Speaker 2:

Yes, it did. I was trying to turn into a gas station. When the inner lane stopped, I didn't see the outer lane. I ruined the ladies' nice, perfectly good driving record. Oh, jeez.

00:15:37 - 00:15:51 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, you know, that's the problem with some of the, you know, the roads having, like, so many different lanes coming in different ways, and you can't figure out exactly where somebody is, or they're in the blind spot, and you've got to, you know, be careful. What's up, Dustin?

00:15:52 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 6:

How's it going this morning?

00:15:53 - 00:15:55 | Speaker 5:

Good. Turn your radio down because if you're here.

00:15:55 - 00:15:57 | Speaker 6:

I'm walking away from it.

00:15:57 - 00:15:58 | Speaker 5:

Okay, what's going on?

00:15:59 - 00:16:20 | Speaker 6:

Not much. Just at work this morning. I had a 96 Blazer, and I was pulling out of a parking lot one time, crossed both lanes and through the turn lane. And I had both lanes stopped, and the turn lane didn't realize it. And as I went out, they barely caught the back corner of my bumper and ripped my rear bumper right off.

00:16:20 - 00:16:27 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. Wow. And how much damage? How much money was it in damage?

00:16:29 - 00:16:36 | Speaker 6:

I put it back on myself. It was an old rusted-up blazer, so I didn't take it in. But it would have probably been about $1,000 to have it fixed.

00:16:36 - 00:16:38 | Speaker 7:

No way. No way. $25.

00:16:39 - 00:16:44 | Speaker 5:

$25. Megan just says, just open it up the trunk or the hood and pop it out.

00:16:44 - 00:16:47 | Speaker 4:

No, you just get a hole punch and some zip ties. You're fine.

00:16:47 - 00:16:52 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Listen, Officer Marie on with us right now. How are you doing, Officer Marie?

00:16:53 - 00:16:54 | Speaker 7:

I'm doing good.

00:16:54 - 00:16:57 | Speaker 5:

Can we make sure Megan gets a ticket for what she did yesterday?

00:16:58 - 00:16:59 | Speaker 7:

I'll mail everyone.

00:17:00 - 00:17:04 | Speaker 5:

How dare you? Do you guys ever have to write tickets for people like this?

00:17:05 - 00:17:19 | Speaker 7:

All the time. I try to make the best determination of who caused the accident, but at the end of the day, it's kind of like if you're waved on or not, you have to make sure it's clear regardless.

00:17:19 - 00:17:34 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I'm the person that backs into a parking spot like that person did and backed into the iHeart Toledo golf cart. And I'm the person that doesn't stop until I hear the boom. No, it's not even the-

00:17:34 - 00:17:36 | Speaker 1:

Does your Tahoe have the- It does.

00:17:36 - 00:17:52 | Speaker 5:

It has the warning beeps, but the problem with the warning beeps on my Tahoe, it's way too sensitive. Like it warning beeps like, and then I get out of my car and I'm like, wait a second, I've got like too much spot. Like I go back in and do it. So I just kind of at least give it a little love tap. You know, nothing too harsh, just a little one.

00:17:52 - 00:17:52 | Speaker 4:

Just a little kiss.

00:17:52 - 00:17:56 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, exactly. How smart are you?

00:17:57 - 00:18:03 | Speaker 4:

It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events, and you tell us what year it happened.

00:18:03 - 00:18:12 | Speaker 5:

Do you remember when this happened? Jimmy Kimmel was hosting the Oscars this year, and the film Moonlight won the Oscar for Best Picture, but was mistakenly given to La La Land.

00:18:12 - 00:18:19 | Speaker 3:

This is not a joke. Moonlight has won Best Picture. Moonlight. Best Picture.

00:18:20 - 00:18:23 | Speaker 5:

Jennifer Gardner filed for divorce from Ben Affleck in the show.

00:18:23 - 00:18:32 | Speaker 1:

I never thought I was going to get divorced. I didn't want to get divorced. I didn't want to be a divorced person. I really didn't want to be a split family.

00:18:32 - 00:18:41 | Speaker 5:

And French Montana, Unforgettable, was the big song. What year was this? We'll set you up with the prize. Good luck.

00:18:43 - 00:18:58 | Speaker 4:

Call us and tell us what year that stuff happened. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. How good is your memory? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:18:58 - 00:19:03 | Speaker 5:

All right, what year was this? Remember there was a mix-up at the Oscars with who won Best Picture?

00:19:03 - 00:19:10 | Speaker 3:

This is not a joke. Moonlight has won Best Picture. Moonlight, Best Picture.

00:19:11 - 00:19:15 | Speaker 5:

It was a sad divorce, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck.

00:19:15 - 00:19:24 | Speaker 1:

I never thought I was going to get divorced. I didn't want to get divorced. I didn't want to be a divorced person. I really didn't want to be a split family.

00:19:24 - 00:19:35 | Speaker 5:

And Unforgettable is the big song. Is this, is it Dahlia? I can't tell if that's an L or a J up there. Deja, Deja.

00:19:36 - 00:19:36 | Speaker 7:

Hi, how are you?

00:19:36 - 00:19:38 | Speaker 5:

What's happening, Deja?

00:19:39 - 00:19:41 | Speaker 7:

I'm good, how are you?

00:19:41 - 00:19:43 | Speaker 5:

Fantastic. What year was that?

00:19:44 - 00:19:44 | Speaker 7:

2017.

00:19:45 - 00:19:47 | Speaker 5:

There you go. What gave it away?

00:19:47 - 00:19:54 | Speaker 7:

2017 just like 2016 Was so good for music And that's literally the only reason why I remembered

00:19:54 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 5:

You know what there were some good stuff What were some of the other songs Do you remember that came out that year

00:20:00 - 00:20:14 | Speaker 4:

00:21:16 - 00:21:29 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. I know lots of people super sad about this. The legendary Tina Turner passed away peacefully at her home in Switzerland after a long illness. She was only 83, which isn't that old to me anymore.

00:21:30 - 00:21:31 | Speaker 1:

The best legs in the world.

00:21:31 - 00:21:32 | Speaker 3:

I know.

00:21:32 - 00:21:36 | Speaker 1:

Take me out at, like, 65. Oh, my God.

00:21:36 - 00:21:37 | Speaker 3:

I need to get free breakfast.

00:21:39 - 00:22:28 | Speaker 2:

Got to do. Have you guys ever seen this movie with Angela Bassett? Of course. Tough movie to watch, but such a good movie. Just so many massive hits. She had been in poor health in recent years, if you were unaware. I know she was diagnosed with intestinal cancer maybe eight or nine years ago. Then she got a kidney transplant from her second husband in 2017. Raised in a very small town in Tennessee, overcame an abusive relationship with Ike Turner, which is what that movie's all about, to become an international megastar, earning the nickname Queen of Rock and Roll with her very distinctive voice that won her a total of 12 Grammy Awards. She sold over 200 million records, tributes coming in from Elton John, Mick Jagger, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, and even Kelly Clarkson.

00:22:28 - 00:22:48 | Speaker 3:

She was one of the first women for me that I really, coming from a southern town, thought, oh, I can do that too. It's okay. I don't have to be so quiet. I don't have to be so pristine. Or, you know, you can be unfiltered. You can be raw. You can be rock and roll. And that was one of the women that are the reason why I am the singer and performer I am today.

00:22:48 - 00:23:15 | Speaker 1:

Did you know that she set a record For performing in front of the most people At one particular concert For one artist She performed in Rio de Janeiro To just under 200,000 people That showed up And she Was one of those people that over the years Was like timeless Like she never seemed to age at all And had always had energy When she was on stage

00:23:15 - 00:23:21 | Speaker 2:

I watched the last interview she did Which wasn't that long ago And she still looked I'm not joking Freaking fabulous

00:23:21 - 00:23:49 | Speaker 1:

I remember an Oprah special Like in the early 2000s with her And she got so like passionately emotional Just talking about her life And everything that she had And she just basically said That her goal in life Was just trying to do her best Every single time that she was out there doing it And her goal was She wanted to be an icon That was her goal. And she succeeded. Yeah, it's amazing.

00:23:49 - 00:23:51 | Speaker 3:

Such an inspiration. Yeah.

00:23:55 - 00:24:34 | Speaker 2:

All right, I can listen to Tina Turner for the next hour. I know. Taylor Swift teaming up with Ice Spice for a new collaboration. Interesting timing. Because this new project just so happens to come after Taylor's boyfriend, 1975 frontman Maddie Healy, insulted Ice and her heritage, if you remember us talking about that drama. Anyway, yesterday, Taylor tweeted, so much to tell you. I am a massive fan of this brilliant artist, and after getting to know her, I can confirm she is the one to watch. So delighted to say that Karma, featuring the incredible Ice Spice, will be out tomorrow night at midnight as part of the new Midnight's Till Dawn Edition deluxe album that you can pre-order now.

00:24:35 - 00:24:46 | Speaker 1:

Do you guys remember, though, when that would always happen, where an artist like a Taylor, you saw it with Maroon 5, they would team up with whoever the biggest, iconic,

00:24:46 - 00:24:47 | Speaker 3:

Cardi B and Maroon 5

00:24:47 - 00:24:56 | Speaker 1:

Remember it was like Cardi B and Maroon 5 But then it was also Maroon 5, Kendrick Lamar Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift With Bad Blood But that's kind of cool

00:24:56 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 2:

Big story this morning, police in Tennessee

00:25:00 - 00:25:40 | Speaker 5:

conducted a welfare check on Memphis Grizzly star John Morantz after some cryptic messages appeared on his Instagram account yesterday. He posted and then deleted some messages and photos saying, love ya ma with a little blue heart emoji, love ya pops, blue heart emoji, you the greatest baby girl, a blue heart emoji. He followed those posts with one that simply said bye. Uh oh. And remember, I mean, he's been in some trouble as of late. So officers went to Morantz's home yesterday morning to check on him said he's fine he's just taking a very much needed break from social media now i don't know espn stephen a smith said that this incident left many around the league very

00:25:40 - 00:26:28 | Speaker 2:

very uncomfortable i for one can tell you that i called the nba league office they had no idea what was going on they appeared and sounded a little fearful it's a few players throughout the league that i contacted they were uncomfortable a couple of ex-teammates of his who used to be on the memphis grizzlies that know a thing or two about ja moran his habits the company he keeps the pressures that lie on his shoulders they were concerned and evidently So was The police

00:26:28 - 00:26:45 | Speaker 5:

And lastly Joe Jonas revealing That he cried Like actually shed some tears Out of jealousy After finding out that his younger brother Nick Was going to be a judge on The Voice And he didn't get the gig

00:26:45 - 00:27:09 | Speaker 8:

I remember and I don't even know if you know this And it was at the most patriotic setting It was at the Fleetwood Mac show MSG. And as we're playing Landslide, I found out that he was going to be a judge on The Voice. And I was so jealous, I cried my eyes out. But it was Landslide. So bittersweet, probably. It was bittersweet. Of course, because I'm like, I'm super happy for him. But I'm also bummed because

00:28:06 - 00:28:07 | Speaker 7:

Oh, this is news to me.

00:28:08 - 00:28:36 | Speaker 1:

Carrie, it's fun when we find out after having contestants on with us for a while. And by the way, she's not wanted by the law. I don't want anybody to think that she is. But over the course of time, the longer that you win, the more stuff we find out about people. because what ends up happening is your friends, your coworkers, loved ones, enemies will call us up and tell us about it. So it's kind of an interesting time, you know, for you because you've been on the show with us now for five straight mornings.

00:28:37 - 00:28:40 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I've been up early this many days in a row. It's wild.

00:28:41 - 00:28:44 | Speaker 1:

00:28:45 - 00:28:49 | Speaker 7:

00:32:15 - 00:32:32 | Speaker 2:

Rita Wilson. Rita Wilson. One and nothing. Yeah, I can think that could be kind of a tougher question there, so you don't have to feel bad about that one. Question number three, the legendary Brady Bunch house is for sale for $5.5 million. How many kids were in the family on the Brady Bunch?

00:32:33 - 00:32:34 | Unknown:

00:34:11 - 00:34:12 | Speaker 3:

My husband.

00:34:12 - 00:34:15 | Speaker 2:

And you know who the woman is?

00:34:15 - 00:34:18 | Speaker 3:

I think that it's his ex

00:34:18 - 00:34:25 | Speaker 2:

So an ex-girlfriend That he was with Before you guys got married

00:34:25 - 00:34:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah And what's making you think that Recently She followed us on the Nextdoor app

00:34:34 - 00:34:39 | Speaker 2:

What is the Nextdoor app For me that doesn't know

00:34:39 - 00:35:03 | Speaker 3:

The Nextdoor app is An app for your entire neighborhood you know where an area where you live everybody can get on the app and then follow each other and see what's going on in the area what's going on outside the neighborhood and you know Exchange tools or sell things.

00:35:04 - 00:35:14 | Speaker 1:

Right. I don't have the Nextdoor app because my neighborhood has a Facebook page instead. But don't you either have to submit an address into that or be approved by an administrator who lives in the neighborhood and would know you?

00:35:16 - 00:35:21 | Speaker 3:

You do have to live in the neighborhood with an address. You have to put an address in.

00:35:21 - 00:35:23 | Speaker 1:

Okay. So are you thinking she used your address?

00:35:25 - 00:35:32 | Speaker 3:

I'm not sure what she's doing. I don't know what she's using. I just know that I saw her, and then she followed us on the app.

00:35:32 - 00:35:32 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

00:35:33 - 00:35:36 | Speaker 2:

And she doesn't live anywhere near you guys?

00:35:37 - 00:35:43 | Speaker 1:

No. Did you even realize that she knew where you lived?

00:35:45 - 00:35:49 | Speaker 3:

No, I didn't even think she was following my husband on social media.

00:35:49 - 00:35:52 | Speaker 2:

So you thought she was completely out of your lives?

00:35:52 - 00:36:03 | Speaker 3:

um well she does keep popping up different places like where uh friends gatherings

00:36:03 - 00:36:22 | Speaker 2:

stuff like that and has your husband ever cheated on you yeah with with a different ex oh geez so it has nothing to not her at all he's got a little history with

00:36:22 - 00:36:31 | Speaker 3:

00:38:33 - 00:38:39 | Speaker 1:

Okay. And what is Ashley's contact information? What's her phone number?

00:38:39 - 00:38:43 | Speaker 3:

Hold on one second. Okay.

00:38:44 - 00:38:44 | Unknown:

Hold on.

00:38:44 - 00:39:05 | Speaker 1:

And Dylan, I'm going to actually start you a little profile, just so hopefully the next time you order flowers from us, all of this information is saved. And what is Ashley's relationship to you?

00:39:09 - 00:39:11 | Speaker 3:

She's a close friend.

00:39:12 - 00:39:34 | Speaker 1:

Okay. and at rosesbloom.com we offer something that's kind of unique and it's a digital voice card where you can leave your own message that will get played when the flowers get delivered to the recipient in this case ashley did you want to go did you want to go ahead and do something like that oh wow it'll just take a second sure okay i'm going to count you down and then just go ahead

00:39:34 - 00:39:48 | Speaker 3:

and leave your message three two one hey baby i love you love dylan perfect dylan i also have

00:39:48 - 00:39:52 | Speaker 1:

to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes are you okay

00:39:52 - 00:40:00 | Speaker 3:

with that uh well i guess it's already been recorded so yeah that's okay okay

00:40:00 - 00:42:57 | Speaker 1:

Dylan, I'm going to come on real quick and just get the rest of the information and then I'll make sure that we send everything to Ashley. And I just want to quickly just let you know before we do that, that while we've been talking to you and you've been sending the flowers to Ashley, that your wife, Sarah, has been listening into this conversation and just heard you send flowers to another woman. Dylan? Sarah? Yeah. That's her, right? Yes. So that's the woman that he calls, what did he say? His baby. Well, first he said it was his friend. Yeah. And then left that message for her. And said, I love you. Hang on one second, Sarah. This is the home of War of the Roses. I absolutely love it. Mojo in the Morning. When we come back here next. Hello? Dylan, it's Mojo in the morning. I don't want to talk about this on the radio. Hear the full conversation right after this. More Mojo in minutes. And what is Ashley's relationship to you? She's a close friend. Okay. War of the Roses, wife suspecting that her husband's cheating with an ex who has way too much access to things that are very personal to their family. We ended up calling. He sent the flowers to that ex. We called him back when he hung up the phone. And was Sarah still on with us? hello Dylan it's Mojo in the morning hi and Sarah's on the phone with us and just wants to know if you can give her an explanation I don't I don't want to talk about this on the radio So obviously there's something going on between you and your ex.

00:43:00 - 00:43:22 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I really, I really don't want to, I don't want to do this. I don't want to talk about this with people listening. Sarah told us who Ashley was. Will you then at least stay on the phone and let us conference you together and we won't be listening in? and we'll let you be able to explain it to her because you at least owe that to her.

00:43:25 - 00:43:28 | Unknown:

Um, I mean, okay.

00:43:29 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 1:

Hold on one second, and we'll let you guys have a conversation with each other. Sarah, are you okay with that? Yeah. All right, hold on one second. Budget of the Money, Warrior of the Roses. Our producer brought up a really interesting thing here about how his ex, by doing this, is kind of stalking them. Kind of stalking their family. Yeah. Because she now has access. No question. And the wildest part about this whole thing is he had to give her access. For sure. Because, and I'd never used the Nextdoor app or anything like that, but everybody, including Shannon, you'd know that you have to have access. somebody needs to invite you right and allow you to be there correct yeah um i want to just bring this up and we'll we can talk about this and find out you know uh your thoughts but i want to know has anybody ever had an ex stalk them while they were in the relationship 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is telephone number uh text is 95500 but we want to call you and get you on the air with us so look for a call from us. Terrence brings up a very important point about everything that you just heard if you were listening to this War of the Roses. And if you missed it, you can go back and listen to the podcast of it. Terrence, what was that?

00:45:00 - 00:45:18 | Speaker 2:

uh it was just how casual he was like when he sent the flowers and then he just casually said like to my baby i love you which is really something that your wife should be hearing instead of whoever this chick is let me let me play that with the neighborhood app she probably

00:45:18 - 00:45:28 | Speaker 4:

has been to their house yeah let's stay there because i want to explore that more and i want to talk to you more terrence don't hang up the phone this is what terrence was talking about when we do the voice message.

00:45:30 - 00:45:36 | Speaker 2:

Hey, baby. I love you. Love, Dylan. Perfect.

00:45:36 - 00:45:49 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that was exactly what, you know, his I love you came out like he saw her yesterday. That's right. Why do you say that you think that she's been at the house?

00:45:50 - 00:46:07 | Speaker 2:

Well, because if she had them on the neighborhood or the next door app and to the wife's knowledge she doesn't even live anywhere near them yeah so how would she even know yeah like what what neighborhood to to pick or you know what

00:46:07 - 00:46:30 | Speaker 4:

i'm saying like what how would she know so i i don't use you know this app i don't use any honestly these these things i i don't want to know what goes on in my neighborhood to be honest with you I like to be oblivious to it. But I just want to know, with this, is it a way for her to figure out more details about the relationship?

00:46:30 - 00:46:31 | Speaker 3:

It's very random.

00:46:31 - 00:46:47 | Speaker 4:

I mean, because I wonder, if you're on the Nextdoor app, if you're allowing that access, if he's doing this, and he allowed this Ashley girl to have that, do you think that she also has access to be able to know where the wife is at all times, Sarah is?

00:46:47 - 00:47:02 | Speaker 2:

because yeah they maybe they might use it as like a as like a way to communicate so that it's not like through text so she happens to go through his phone like who's gonna go through the next door app yeah she's gonna go through messages or facebook or whatever but if they're in the next

00:47:02 - 00:47:26 | Speaker 4:

app you know because because i that this would be an issue because we've had the war the roses not that you know the other day was the whole you know gps in and figuring out where somebody was Could you imagine if somebody was so intricate in their cheating that they allowed the person that they're cheating with to know where the wife or girlfriend was at all times?

00:47:26 - 00:47:45 | Speaker 3:

Well, I mean, I'm so curious to know if they have a Nest Cam or a Ring Cam or a Google Home. Because if he's giving her access to the Nextdoor app, what else is he giving her access to? That's super creepy. Yeah, but I wouldn't say they're comparable. Like, I think that next door is more public.

00:47:45 - 00:47:49 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and don't you think the Nescam is definitely over the top?

00:47:49 - 00:47:55 | Speaker 3:

Well, I know, but what I'm saying is if he's giving her access to one thing, what else is he giving her access to?

00:47:55 - 00:48:11 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is the telephone number. Mojo and Shannon, Megan, Mike, Kev, KP, Lydia here. What's going on, Tanya? Hi. Your voice is sky.

00:48:11 - 00:48:43 | Speaker 1:

Hi, yeah. I had a relationship at one time where the ex, and the boyfriend I was with at the time knew about it. She would sit outside and watch us, like watch what we were doing inside the house, and they had kids together and everything. And there was like outdoor access to the furnace downstairs that would go underneath the house. He would know that she was under there without my knowledge. What? What? I have so many questions. Oh, yeah.

00:48:44 - 00:48:54 | Speaker 4:

Stop for one second and just rewind for a little bit and talk a little slower to us on this. Okay. So he was in on this or she was stalking him and you?

00:48:55 - 00:49:20 | Speaker 1:

He was in on it. Like, he knew she was doing this stuff. I would be like, how does she know that? How does she know that we were just talking about that? Like, did you call her and hide your phone? Like, how does she know that we were just doing that? I mean, like intimate, like she would know when we were intimate or she would know like when one of the kids got in trouble, she would know everything and it was creeping me out.

00:49:20 - 00:49:26 | Speaker 4:

Why was, why was he allowing her to do this? Was he having an affair with her?

00:49:26 - 00:50:05 | Speaker 1:

Never, never got an explanation, but when things got too heavy, I bought my own house and I decided to like kind of distance myself from this. We were still, I guess, together, but I bought my own house. Yes, ma'am. And something was, it was right during COVID, so we couldn't go anywhere public, everything was closed down, and he lived in his house, I lived in my house, and we got together on, like, the weekends that we had off from work. Well, one weekend, I couldn't find him for three days, even his parents, we were engaged, could not find him for three days. We thought the. worst had happened so something in me told me to get around get ready i headed over to her house

00:50:05 - 00:50:28 | Speaker 3:

oh my god well isn't that interesting because covid actually brought a lot of cheaters out because what ended up happening was people were cheating while they were at work and because a lot of people were going home and staying home they couldn't do their cheating so here's a case where this woman's going basically to her home.

00:50:28 - 00:50:32 | Speaker 2:

But how do you disappear for three days and not expect there to be any questions asked? That's crazy. Ding, ding, ding.

00:50:33 - 00:50:44 | Speaker 3:

Go to the first part of what you said to us about the fact that you saw her across the street. What the hell are you thinking when you see this woman across the street from your house looking at you guys?

00:50:44 - 00:51:10 | Speaker 1:

She wasn't across the street. She was actually in the yard peeking in the windows. What? And then she would go downstairs through the furnace where the furnace access was. outside and go under the house and listen to us. Did she need shelter? No, she had her own place. She had her own boyfriend. She had her own house. Everything.

00:51:10 - 00:51:12 | Speaker 3:

Wow, this is nuts. What a nutty call.

00:51:12 - 00:51:22 | Speaker 2:

Could you imagine if you're their neighbor, too, and you see this woman just peeking in their house? Nobody said a thing. Nobody did a thing. Be honest, though. Did you like that she wanted to be you?

00:51:22 - 00:51:48 | Speaker 1:

i don't think she wanted to be me but she definitely doesn't want anyone else to be with him she will make your life literally hell she made it so bad that i had to put a ppo order on her and i got it i got the ppo order on it and then she took me to court and he wrote a letter for her when she eats saying that none of this happened.

00:51:49 - 00:51:51 | Speaker 3:

I'm just like,

00:51:51 - 00:51:55 | Speaker 1:

I'm done from these crazy people. I'm just, I'm done. And I walked away.

00:51:55 - 00:52:06 | Speaker 3:

You know what's amazing about this? That guy must have a magic D because any time a woman would crawl under a house for a man, I mean...

00:52:06 - 00:52:09 | Speaker 1:

Not really. Not really. Good.

00:52:09 - 00:52:22 | Speaker 3:

I love it. Oh, my gosh. Thank you for the call, by the way. That might be the call of the century right there. It's Mojo in the Morning, War of the Roses. The ex was stalking them. What's going on, Hunter?

00:52:23 - 00:52:25 | Speaker 4:

Hey, how's it going, Mojo? First time caller.

00:52:25 - 00:52:28 | Speaker 3:

Hey, thanks, buddy. Appreciate you listening to the show.

00:52:29 - 00:52:49 | Speaker 4:

Hey, of course. Thank you. So I had an ex that became friends with my mom and my sister during our relationship. And after that relationship was done, she snuck her way into being friends with my knowledge. and made up a bunch of stories about our past. A lot of questions.

00:52:49 - 00:52:55 | Speaker 3:

So she befriended your sister and your mom and then befriended your wife? Is that what you said? Yeah.

00:52:56 - 00:52:56 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah.

00:52:56 - 00:52:58 | Speaker 3:

And then what, tried to split you guys up?

00:52:59 - 00:53:15 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. She would make up stories about when we were together or, you know, even stuff that she made up after the relationship that was obviously not true, and we're good now. But I learned this through happenstance, through a Facebook tag. So I was able to catch on to it.

00:53:15 - 00:53:22 | Speaker 3:

Wow. That is crazy. Lindsay, your boyfriend's ex was crazy.

00:53:24 - 00:53:25 | Speaker 5:

She's so crazy.

00:53:26 - 00:53:34 | Speaker 3:

And what is she doing? Is she following you guys? Or is she doing something even that extreme as the caller that called us up at the beginning? Tanya.

00:53:34 - 00:54:22 | Speaker 5:

She was. She had showed up at the place where I worked and harassed me. we had to call the police. She found us at the dollar store that we, in the town we live in. And I had my kids with us at that point. And like, she's screaming at us that like, he's never going to be their daddy, blah, blah, blah. I was like, no, because they have a daddy. Like, what do you mean? It got to the point, like, she's friends with my ex-husband's wife, like wife's family. And it was to the point, like, the ex-husband and his wife was like, look, she can't be around when you have our kids. Like, we need to keep her away. Wow. Thank you. Two and a half, three months have been really good. Yeah, she is absolutely crazy. And we've been together four years now.

00:54:23 - 00:54:25 | Speaker 2:

You might need to do what that other caller didn't get at PPO. Yeah.

00:54:26 - 00:54:34 | Speaker 5:

Because that, I mean, she's showing up at the stores you shop at. Yeah, stores. And, I mean, it's a small town. So, obviously, there's going to be crossover. Just be careful.

00:54:35 - 00:54:58 | Speaker 3:

It's wild to think with all of these calls just how passionate these people are about just making their lives miserable to follow this person. I mean, I think this War of the Roses is tame compared to the callers that we just talked to just a second ago. But who knows where it was going to go to if she didn't call us up to see what was happening.

00:54:58 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 2:

I guess my question for.

00:55:00 - 00:55:07 | Speaker 3:

for like a lot of these women is like, what do you think you're going to get out of it? You just look crazy. You're not going to get the guy back.

00:55:08 - 00:55:23 | Speaker 2:

Well, they think that they're going to. And I think in that first call of Tanya, the Voices Guys lady, I think that that guy wanted to be back. I mean, he was playing along with it, you know? Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Shannon with the Dirty on the 30, sad day yesterday.

00:55:24 - 00:55:26 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, well, I'm not going to start with that, though. Oh, I'm sorry.

00:55:26 - 00:55:32 | Speaker 2:

I thought you were right, Paula. I can't. It's okay. Don't start off sad. Start off happy. Do we have happy news?

00:55:32 - 00:55:35 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I was going to start off with Britney Spears. Oh, yes. Big story, big update about Britney.

00:55:35 - 00:55:39 | Speaker 2:

This is actually very happy news if you like to see families that are doing okay.

00:55:40 - 00:56:20 | Speaker 3:

A little reuniting going on. Yesterday, Britney's mom, Lynn, flew to L.A. to see her daughter. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's the first time they've seen each other in maybe almost six years. Wow. Britney did let mom inside her home, where I'm told they talked for about 30 minutes. Britney's husband, Sam, was present. So this to me says that the ice between mom and daughter is starting to thaw because we did find out that they'd been texting recently, but Lynn just knew she had to be face-to-face with her daughter to say what she wanted to say, and Brittany is letting her in. Little by little, source is telling me that Lynn is committed to making it right with her daughter. Now we'll go to the sad news, okay?

00:56:21 - 00:56:22 | Speaker 2:

Oh, gotta push the button.

00:56:24 - 00:56:55 | Speaker 3:

An icon, Tina Turner, passing away peacefully at her home in Switzerland yesterday. She was 83 years old. Her health had been really declining over the past couple of years. She was diagnosed with intestinal cancer in 2016. She received a kidney transplant from her second husband in 2017. But her career included some massive, massive hits that earned her 12 Grammy Awards. She sold more than 200 million records. I have everything. When I sit

00:56:55 - 00:57:12 | Speaker 1:

In the house that I have, I am so serene. No problems. I had a very hard life that I didn't put blame on anything or anyone. I got through it. I lived through it with no blame. And I'm a happy person.

00:57:12 - 00:57:33 | Speaker 3:

And so many tributes to this legendary artist, Beyonce, writing on her website. My beloved queen, I love you endlessly. I am so grateful for your inspiration and all the ways you have paved the way. Dolly Parton writing, now she rolling, rolling, rolling on the glory. Roll on, Tina. We will always love you.

00:57:33 - 00:58:00 | Speaker 2:

I thought that this was actually a pretty cool tribute. Robin Roberts on ABC said that she was Beyonce and Taylor Swift before Beyonce and Taylor Swift. She was like both in one because she was so iconic and she could do songs that were considered to be pop songs or you know, rhythmic songs and she kind of like did it all at her, you know, amazing career that she had. And she looked

00:58:00 - 00:58:04 | Speaker 3:

Her energy. Her energy That woman danced

00:58:04 - 00:58:13 | Speaker 2:

It's wild to think you know, all the things that she overcame obviously the worst of what she overcame was what she dealt with marriage wise Yeah

00:58:13 - 00:58:26 | Speaker 3:

Fetty Wap, sentenced to six years in federal prison yesterday on his role in a drug trafficking scheme. I know. You know I love my Fetty. He's a bad boy.

00:58:26 - 00:58:32 | Speaker 2:

Kevin, Shannon has this weird obsession with Fetty Wap. Are you a trap queen?

00:58:33 - 00:58:34 | Speaker 1:

Look at me.

00:58:36 - 00:58:48 | Speaker 2:

We can't figure it out though. Honestly, out of all the artists that we ever will play, she gets excited. This song comes on and she starts I make him play the Fetty Wap Christmas song every year. You got an inner

00:58:48 - 00:59:24 | Speaker 3:

trap queen that's dying to come out so he he's going bye-bye for a little while he pleaded guilty in august a conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances so prosecutors are saying he was part of an organization that distributed more than 100 kilos of cocaine heroin fentanyl and crack cocaine across new jersey and long island in 2019 and 2020 just really not good he didn't have a fall person well okay so here's the thing five other people were charged in this case, but he was the 6th, and the judge looked him in the eye and said, despite your background and all you have overcame, you throw it all away.

00:59:24 - 00:59:26 | Speaker 2:

Stop, Mike. Don't do it, Mike. What did I say?

00:59:27 - 00:59:37 | Speaker 1:

All in the eyes. Not eyes. You're right. You're right. Man.

00:59:38 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 3:

He's the one. Honestly, it was really funny. The Washington commanders just might have to look for yet another name after their trademark application was denied by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The request was denied for two different reasons. One, the trademark for a single football game, like a specialty game called the Commanders.

01:00:00 - 01:00:29 | Speaker 1:

Classic, and then two, there are two pending applications by a man in D.C. So the Commander's Classic is the name of this annual college football game between the Army and the Air Force, so that's not good. And then the two pending applications, as for those, they were put forth by a guy who filed for the Washington Space Commanders as well as the Washington Wolf Commanders, and basically he filed for those names when he was trying to guess what the team's potential new name could be, and he was like... I thought that was illegal.

01:00:29 - 01:00:36 | Speaker 3:

No, it's not. But I'm surprised that they announced or were working on this without filing it first.

01:00:36 - 01:00:54 | Speaker 4:

Yes. Well, they were an idiot organization anyway. I mean, Dan Snyder, their owner, is a moron. But here's the interesting thing, though. I think there is something to it being illegal that you can't just start buying patents and trademarks. No, I don't believe so.

01:00:54 - 01:00:56 | Speaker 3:

Because people do it with the Kardashians all the time.

01:00:56 - 01:01:07 | Speaker 4:

Well, no, it happened with, I think, Coca-Cola or something like that, where somebody actually did it, and then they held out on it. And I think that, and I think, maybe I'm wrong. It could be websites or something. Yeah.

01:01:07 - 01:01:18 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that what happened to Sierra Mist? They lost their redo rights for Sierra Mist, the pop company, to the influencer Sierra Mist. Well, but that's why it's starry now.

01:01:18 - 01:01:19 | Speaker 4:

But that's legit, though.

01:01:19 - 01:01:21 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah, it is different. Yeah.

01:01:21 - 01:01:32 | Speaker 4:

But that's legit because she's Sierra Mist. This is just some guy sitting at home on his computer going to GoDaddy and, you know, trying to buy every single address.

01:01:32 - 01:01:41 | Speaker 1:

I love it. I love it. And lastly, the skincare company Biore. Do you guys ever use Biore pore strips, like the nose strips?

01:01:41 - 01:01:43 | Speaker 4:

I hear the commercials that we play all the time on the air.

01:01:43 - 01:01:47 | Speaker 3:

Because I read one time that you're really not supposed to use their face wash with the beads in it.

01:01:48 - 01:02:21 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Well, yeah. Yes. Okay. So the story, the story is not about that, but it's about Biore and a TikTok influencer named Cecily Max Brown. They are both now apologizing for a partnership post after backlash over the post references to the Michigan State University school shooting. Cecily is a student at MSU and she spoke about February's tragic shooting as she was promoting this Biore strip away the stigma challenge. He was part of it.

01:02:22 - 01:02:41 | Speaker 2:

Supportive Mental Health Awareness Month. I'm partnering with Biora Skin Care to strip away the stigma of anxiety. We want you to get it all out. Not only what's in your pores, but most importantly, what's on your mind, too. I will never forget the feeling of terror that I had walking around campus for weeks in a place I considered home. Join me and Biora Skin Care in speaking up about mental health by screenshotting this digital card.

01:02:41 - 01:02:57 | Speaker 1:

It's more like you're trying to promote nose strips and comparing and using the school shooting to promote nose strips. Really not nose strips, more so the mental health part of it. But here's the thing, though. But people are still saying, mm-mm-mm, doesn't work.

01:02:57 - 01:03:43 | Speaker 4:

I sit there and I look at this, and obviously we're in the business of this. But is she promoting the nose strips, or is she just trying to build awareness to mental health? I mean, a lot of people, we do that and our company does it with things, you know. You know, we're going to have, you know, Pride Month here in a couple of days. We're going to be talking pride all month with every single client that we have. But I'm, I don't know, I'm going to give her, I'm going to give her a little bit of leeway on this. And also I'm going to say that she's a college student and, you know. It's in the B or A message, I think. Like, I think you can't just sit there and go, and by the way, right now, if you mention MSU or whatever, you get a savings on this.

01:03:43 - 01:03:46 | Speaker 1:

It's a very careful line that you have to walk.

01:03:46 - 01:03:50 | Speaker 3:

Does it make sense to say it feels cringy but not inappropriate?

01:03:50 - 01:03:51 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:03:51 - 01:03:56 | Speaker 3:

Like, it's weird, but, like, I don't think you crossed a line. Yeah. Yeah. It's a little cringy. Okay.

01:03:56 - 01:04:00 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page at MojoInTheMorning.com.

01:04:00 - 01:04:14 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the Morning and we got the gang all doing their thing

01:04:14 - 01:04:32 | Speaker 4:

and we have two people from the show that are doing something today that I think is very heartwarming and I think that it's commendable but there's one person that had a negative on it and I want to bring it up right now. Shannon is leaving at what time?

01:04:33 - 01:04:37 | Speaker 1:

Like just before the 8.30 dirty. Okay. Between 8 and 8.30. Good for you.

01:04:37 - 01:04:49 | Speaker 4:

Shannon is leaving at 8.30 because Smith has got his preschool graduation going on today. And so her youngest is graduating from preschool and she wants to be there like the other moms and dads are going to be there.

01:04:50 - 01:04:50 | Speaker 1:

With a little camping gown.

01:04:50 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 4:

You know, and for those that don't understand, this is, you know, we do this whole thing right now. It's hard for us sometimes to just sit there and go, oh, I'm going to sneak out real quick Because you sneak out and you notice.

01:05:00 - 01:05:09 | Speaker 6:

When we sneak out, you don't notice necessarily if somebody else sneaks out from their office. Well, Mike is also doing something today that's cool. Mike at, what, 9.30, Mike?

01:05:09 - 01:05:19 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, 9.30, I'm going to Cecily's field trip at the John Ball Zoo, which I've never done before. The background check passed. I didn't get to be the chap.

01:05:19 - 01:05:20 | Speaker 2:

Oh, good, good. You got to pass that.

01:05:20 - 01:05:21 | Speaker 5:

How cool is that?

01:05:21 - 01:05:36 | Speaker 6:

So dad's going to go to the field trip, which is awesome. Yeah, yeah. I'm very excited. Well, can you guess who the one person is that does not have children and feels like people with children get special treatment?

01:05:37 - 01:06:17 | Speaker 3:

I don't feel like. It's proven. Also, I want to say before we jump into this, family moments happen once in a lifetime. You got to go have them. Whatever. I hate it. Good for you. You have a happy family and children that love you. Unconditional love. What? What I hear is special treatment and favorability in the workplace. And I don't like it, okay? So what? Your kids will have these fond memories for the rest of their life. And it would be very mentally damaging if you were just absent. I don't care about your children. I've never cared about your children. I hope they all have terrible graduation services and field trips today. Just kidding.

01:06:17 - 01:06:33 | Speaker 6:

By the way, but this is actually a good topic to bring up here right now. It's unfair. Because just like smokers who got the chance to go out and have smoke breaks all the time back in the day. I don't know if they still do. They still go outside and smoke every 15 minutes. Just like smokers.

01:06:33 - 01:06:54 | Speaker 3:

How come y'all get to leave and get special treatment and force us non-children bearers to cover up for you guys and pick up all of the responsibilities that you willy-nilly leave behind for your own self-interest? and I'm called selfish, y'all parents are selfish. First off, get her, Mike.

01:06:54 - 01:07:11 | Speaker 5:

I won't have to come back to work, okay? It's not like I'm just done for the day. I'm coming back and will be here all day because I'm going to the zoo. Now, you have your own personal time. If you want to take personal time and go have a field trip with Coraline, you go take her.

01:07:11 - 01:07:13 | Speaker 2:

Are you guys using personal time?

01:07:13 - 01:07:15 | Speaker 1:

Are you guys using personal time today?

01:07:15 - 01:07:28 | Speaker 4:

Because I don't think you are. Well, look, the biggest thing you said was responsibility. And as a parent, you have a whole responsibility. Without kids, your whole life is free time. By the way, for those who don't know,

01:07:28 - 01:07:31 | Speaker 6:

Cav has a son, too. Cav has a son.

01:07:31 - 01:07:32 | Speaker 4:

Your whole life is free time.

01:07:32 - 01:07:39 | Speaker 3:

So your responsibility is just throwing extra work on me because you have other things to do. Like, I don't have other things to do.

01:07:39 - 01:07:40 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you are such a bitch.

01:07:40 - 01:07:43 | Speaker 3:

Oh, oh, pot, meat, kettle.

01:07:43 - 01:07:54 | Speaker 2:

Guys, you have to do a whole bunch of extra work today because Shannon specifically is leaving. You know I did all the work for you already. All the work for you. Bitch, I was just cursed.

01:07:54 - 01:07:55 | Speaker 5:

It's my trap holding up a laptop right now.

01:07:55 - 01:08:02 | Speaker 3:

I woke up at 2.30 this morning. I already told you I was going to write it up for you. You did not. You did not.

01:08:03 - 01:08:16 | Speaker 4:

You liar. You did it. You didn't say it right now. I believe that children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess

01:08:16 - 01:08:20 | Speaker 5:

It's funny because I can see them yelling But I can't hear them It's the greatest

01:08:20 - 01:08:33 | Speaker 1:

I'm right in the middle too Kids, kids, kids Step away from the show for whatever you want KP took a day for her hair And she had to use a vacation I forgot about that Hold on

01:08:33 - 01:08:38 | Speaker 3:

I got disposable money She had to use a vacation day

01:08:38 - 01:10:46 | Speaker 6:

Listen, I have to pull this together Because listeners don't want to listen to the view on the radio was screaming and talking over each other, all right? Yeah, we do. All right. No, but I have to bring this all together because I will say this, as a guy who has kids, I regret that I didn't do a lot of this with my two younger kids. Now, I did do it with Luke, and I learned a lesson. And actually, to be perfectly honest with you, I was exactly where Megan's spot was, where I was like, you're going where? You're doing what? When people that were on the show had said, hey, they wanted to leave to go to their kids. things because i looked at it like you know what i'm sorry we can't go to dad's with donuts day you know what i mean like i never got to go to a dad's with donuts day or donuts with dad's day or whatever the hell it was but i also will say this to you that my kids now are in high amounts of therapy and taking lots of medication because of it so no i what is the lesson you think you learned after doing it with luke but then not doing it with your kids that i that i screwed joe and and jacob over by not doing it honestly can i tell you something i didn't screw them over i screwed me over i screwed me over for not experiencing this and honestly i put a lot of extra pressure on chelsea to be yeah to be like you know single mom going to all this stuff now we were very fortunate that chelsea could be a stay-at-home mom but i will say this that, uh, as a dad, I didn't have those memories. And Luke just graduated from high school. And when he graduated from high school, they had picture montages and things of all the years that Luke had been going to school. Cause he went to the same school that he went to high school with when he was in kindergarten. And there were some days where I'm looking at like field days and things, and I was never there. And I'm looking at some of the guys that were there, some of the dads that were there and I'm going, man, that I, I really missed out. So, so here's the thing i get it but now i want the people to fight okay who has it better in the office i want you to call us up right now 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 i want you to call out better i want 10 times better i want you to call us up right now if you're team megan or team i like my kids

01:10:46 - 01:11:16 | Speaker 4:

to be fair that is the best part of our job is that we do have the flexibility for this my dad wasn't there he was working a lot i get it i totally get it it's with that being said when it comes to responsibilities in the workplace i do think parents get a lot more leeway like most of the time when it comes to holidays and stuff people say well it's my kids at home and stuff like that and we are expected as non-kid people to kind of cover for parents a lot hey marissa

01:11:16 - 01:11:18 | Speaker 6:

Which team are you on here?

01:11:19 - 01:11:39 | Speaker 2:

I'm Team Megan. I don't want to have kids ever. That's just my personal choice and, like, more power to you if you want them. But at my company, you get six months paid maternity leave if you have a child. And I just, like, what if I want six months paid leave if I adopt a dog? I think that I should be able to spend time with my new puppy, but that's not allowed.

01:11:40 - 01:11:43 | Speaker 6:

You know what, though? That has actually been a conversation that's been brought up, though, for people.

01:11:43 - 01:11:45 | Speaker 3:

Guess how much we get paid maternity leave?

01:11:45 - 01:11:56 | Speaker 6:

zero well but that has been a conversation in some businesses where there are some businesses that are doing uh leave for animals and people that have pets yeah um paternity leave yeah

01:11:56 - 01:12:16 | Speaker 3:

melissa what's going on which team are you on here i'm on team megan for sure because i was a person working 12 hours a day bartending and serving for moms that had to go now i'm that mom and they can do it for me right yeah so well i really will go ahead but no but it's team yeah

01:12:16 - 01:12:42 | Speaker 6:

it's team payback you get you now the payback is there unless you have a different boss that doesn't agree but i do think exactly but i do think that times seem to be a little bit more different right now and i'm not going to be the whole i walked uphill but there were back back when i was in my day i couldn't if i told my boss i was taking a day off because i had anxiety my boss would look at me and go go go anxiety yourself on the unemployment line right you know

01:12:42 - 01:13:01 | Speaker 3:

i get that i'm both and i guess because i didn't like that when i couldn't take a day off you know to be with having anxiety but someone could take a day off to go do you know a field trip with their kids but now that i'm the adult i'm like hey i did it for the parents you should do it for the parents maybe they'll become a parent one day and then they're going to realize what they missed out

01:13:01 - 01:13:14 | Speaker 6:

sure yeah thank you for the call what's up alicia hey hi everybody how's everybody doing we are good we're just having a really healthy conversation right now glad this is out in the

01:13:14 - 01:13:26 | Speaker 1:

open that's good um i wanted to make the point that if your workers are feeling supported in their personal life and there's a good work-life balance they're going to be more

01:13:26 - 01:13:54 | Speaker 6:

dedicated to the job you know i'm not doing that no you know mike brought up a really good uh a point about work-life balance um because mike said that he's coming back to work and he's going to go do it and the the you're he's doing you get the ability to be able to go do this because mike you're great at what you do right and you feel confident in doing it but yet you're not bad You're still coming back and doing work.

01:13:54 - 01:13:54 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:13:54 - 01:13:59 | Speaker 6:

You're still doing it. And Shannon does a lot of other stuff around here that people don't see.

01:13:59 - 01:14:03 | Speaker 3:

I'm not coming back, but I will still be working tonight. I mean, we all will.

01:14:03 - 01:14:06 | Speaker 6:

Megan, on the other hand, no, I'm just kidding.

01:14:06 - 01:14:07 | Speaker 3:

I don't do anything, yeah.

01:14:07 - 01:14:25 | Speaker 5:

No, no, no. No, no, no. You do a lot. No, but I did what Megan did when I didn't have kids. I covered for the people that had kids. Yes. And I understood. But there was also other opportunities that I got to do because I didn't have kids. And there were other things, other perks that I got because I didn't have kids. So there's a best of both worlds.

01:14:25 - 01:14:50 | Speaker 4:

I do think, though, that I'm being punished for other people's decisions. Like, these are decisions you're choosing to make, and then I'm paying the consequences for them. And I also think it's funny that all of you guys are taking this stance, because when we talk about smokers and their breaks, y'all unequivocally say, that's not fair. That's not fair. Those are choices that you're making. Exactly. And now that it doesn't apply to you. But now we take 15-minute poops and even it out. But now that it does apply to you, you take the other stance.

01:14:50 - 01:14:58 | Speaker 6:

I would like to, since smokers get to take breaks to go smoke, I would like to have it to eat a bag of potato chips. Absolutely. What's up, Bug Grace?

01:14:59 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 2:

Hi, yeah.

01:15:00 - 01:15:10 | Speaker 3:

I actually worked about 80 hours a week when I was pregnant with my daughter. So that way I could have maternity leave and I got no special treatment whatsoever just because I had kids.

01:15:11 - 01:15:18 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Well, I mean, talk about that. That's, you know, that's one of those things. The maternity leave or non-maternity leave in many cases with businesses.

01:15:19 - 01:15:29 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'll say I work my butt off with my kids and around my schedule. I mean, my work is not, you know, they show no special treatment.

01:15:30 - 01:15:32 | Speaker 4:

What do you think, Maria?

01:15:34 - 01:15:51 | Speaker 2:

I just wanted to bring up a point about, like, animals. Because at my old job, if my dog had a vet appointment or if there was an emergency with him, I had to take personal time off. And my coworkers who had kids, if they had an appointment for their child or an emergency, they were...

01:15:51 - 01:15:52 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no.

01:15:52 - 01:15:56 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no. Bummer. Yeah, I'm not going to say I'm glad that happened.

01:15:57 - 01:16:04 | Speaker 1:

No, that's not what I want to move to kids. That's a crappy employer, though, right there. No, that is. That's not acceptable. Agreed.

01:16:05 - 01:16:43 | Speaker 4:

Hold on a second. Who's on the phone with us right now? Misfit Steve. Misfit Steve, what's going on? Wait, Misfit Steve is our Misfit Steve. Huh? We can't have it. Misfit Steve works for us here right now. Do we have two Misfit Steves? Misfit Steven. Yeah. Misfit Steven. Then you know what we need to do? Everybody's name Steve is Misfit. We need – because here's the problem. We hired Misfit Steve to do some audio stuff for us and work for us after he was on doing a dating thing. But you were Misfit Steven. Why don't we do this? We have Misfit Steve be the guy that works here, and you're Misfit Steve 2.0.

01:16:44 - 01:17:16 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I like that. I'm 2.0. Wow. What? So I'm team kids. And even though I like doing a lot of overtime, but since my schedule changed because we had, like, but now I get to take my kids to school every day. But before, I didn't take my kids to school. But now that I get to do that, I get to see the enjoyment when they get sent off every morning. And all the stuff that I get to enjoy when they're waking up and all that stuff. That's nice. That's nice. See that? Yeah.

01:17:16 - 01:17:26 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so before, just like some of these other callers, before you would look at this as this is kind of a pain, but now that you've got the kids, you get to enjoy being with them, right?

01:17:27 - 01:17:38 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, get to being with them, spend time with them, doing the field trips and stuff and all that. Yeah. Donuts with dads, which I did a couple times.

01:17:38 - 01:17:41 | Speaker 4:

Did they ever have good donuts there? Because I never got a chance to go to donuts with dads.

01:17:42 - 01:17:46 | Speaker 5:

No. They were bad donuts. Yeah. Bad donuts.

01:17:46 - 01:17:58 | Speaker 4:

Like, I want the good donuts. I want the ones from, like, that Avon place in Pontiac that's so good. Right. All right. Thank you, Misfits Steve 2.0. Yeah.

01:17:58 - 01:17:59 | Speaker 5:

Have a good morning.

01:17:59 - 01:18:08 | Speaker 4:

It's Mojo in the Morning Show. Shannon had a funny moment happen at your son's. Is he playing t-ball right now? Is that what he's in?

01:18:08 - 01:18:09 | Speaker 1:

No, it's Coach Pitch.

01:18:09 - 01:18:10 | Speaker 4:

Coach Pitch?

01:18:10 - 01:18:11 | Speaker 1:

It is legitimate. How's he doing?

01:18:12 - 01:18:12 | Speaker 4:

Is he enjoying it?

01:18:13 - 01:18:15 | Speaker 1:

He's doing pretty good.

01:18:15 - 01:18:18 | Speaker 4:

Do you get him big league chew at all So that you can pretend like he's a baseball player

01:18:18 - 01:18:21 | Speaker 1:

No, but he got some in his Easter basket I don't know if he's cracked it open yet

01:18:21 - 01:18:36 | Speaker 4:

I remember when I was a kid I would have big league chew And I'd put it in my back pocket Like I was, you know, Kirk Gibson And playing, you know And you always throw like a big wad in your mouth Oh yeah And I was about to almost choke while I was up to bat

01:18:36 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 1:

Yes Well, I bring one of those like I don't even know what you call them Like athletic chairs, sideline chairs You know, that you buy on Amazon and bring with you and set up. But mine's a love seat. So I have it so it can fit two people. So if I'm at Smith's baseball game, Lucy can sit right next to me. And then if I'm at Lucy's lacrosse game, Smith can sit right next to me. Anyway, so I set this thing up in this baseball game. And it has two seats and then it has a cup holder on each side. So I was kind of bouncing around all over talking to some of my friends and one of my girlfriends, Jenny, her grandma came and I noticed that she was standing to watch the game and I said, oh, no, no, no, no. Sit, you know, take one of the seats in this chair. Take one of the seats in the love seat, which she happily took. Lucy had left a book on the other seat and then I had my Celsius. Do you know what Celsius is? Like an energy drink in one of the cup holders. And then I had an open container of Nutella with the cracker sticks that you get at Costco in the other, which Lucy had started eating. So at one point halfway through the game, I look over and I'm not standing anywhere in the vicinity of this, of my chair. But I look over and I see my friend Jenny's grandma sitting in one of the seats. And I see Jenny's husband sitting in the other seat chugging my Celsius and eating the Nutella sticks. And his wife, Jenny, noticed at the same time.

01:20:00 - 01:20:24 | Speaker 2:

and started yelling at him to stop. He got to the game, assumed this is his family setup because Grandma's sitting in one of the chairs. And so he was like, I'm just going to help myself to a little Celsius and Nutella cracker sticks. He was mortified and came up to apologize, but I thought it was so funny that, yep, thought it was his. Did he have crumbs still on his face when he apologized? Nutella around his lips.

01:20:24 - 01:20:30 | Speaker 1:

You know, I remember when we would bring treats for the kids for post-game treats.

01:20:30 - 01:20:31 | Speaker 2:

It was my treat day, too.

01:20:32 - 01:21:28 | Speaker 1:

And we would come up with, like, really good treats. Like, I always tried to outdo the other parents and try to bring, like, ice cream bars and stuff like that. It was just hard because it's a long game. It could melt. You had to make sure you had something. But I remember at the end of the game, we were passing out the treats to the kids. And all of a sudden, there's some guy that just walks up. And I think he's a dad, you know, that wants to get it for his kid. He's a guy walking through Marshbank Park Just on a walk Passing out treats And he thinks that we're like some kind of a festival Or something going on And they're passing out stuff And one of the moms We were the mud hens This was the day that we got to be the You know, whatever it was Lakeland mud hens We had these really cool mud hens uniforms And I remember the mom going Mud hen moms, get him No Avengers assemble It was the greatest because everybody was like, what is going on? Why are you taking our food? Like, what's, you know, you can't do that.

01:21:28 - 01:21:36 | Speaker 2:

Do you remember the disappointment when a mom would bring in clementines and you're like, let's go home. Clementines. Get in the car. Yeah, plain potato chips. What?

01:21:36 - 01:22:03 | Speaker 1:

That's like a soccer staple. Capri Suns, orange slices. No. No, no orange slices. The worst, though, is the worst is the healthy parent that's there in the whole group. The granola. Yeah, you have, like, sometimes the healthy parent. Or you have the, I forgot to get something, so I had to go to the Shell station and see what they had on their shelves. My favorite was the dad that brought, like, Cars nuts or whatever. You know how they have them? They're good.

01:22:03 - 01:22:04 | Speaker 2:

Isn't that a local company?

01:22:05 - 01:22:12 | Speaker 1:

You know how you go into these gas stations, like Speedway and stuff, and they have the nuts hanging that are on just like the little.

01:22:12 - 01:22:14 | Speaker 2:

Right next to the cigarette levers. Yeah.

01:22:15 - 01:22:29 | Speaker 1:

And the dad was like, crap, it's my turn. And he's, like, grabbing anything he can, like, little single things. To be fair, the dark chocolate and peanut butter is really good. They are so good. They are delicious. That is so funny. What is the – should we call that guy out at all?

01:22:29 - 01:22:31 | Speaker 2:

Jonathan, you know who you are.

01:22:32 - 01:23:23 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the Morning Show. So last night I was, you know, sitting on the couch, kind of laying back on the couch on my computer. And I was gathering stuff to talk about. And I was looking at some news stories. And there was a story that was trending last night that I thought was, like, really interesting. It was wild. And, matter of fact, I'll read you the headline. I'll show you the headline right here. So this is the story. It's on my computer. It says, am I gay? Related Google searches soar 1,300% in 19 years, analysis says. so the story is about uh how people have been going to google and googling am i gay uh to figure out if if they are gay or maybe somebody else is gay i don't know what is there

01:23:23 - 01:23:30 | Speaker 2:

like a quiz well i'm a little confused by that but okay i will say this though i did look at it

01:23:30 - 01:24:24 | Speaker 1:

to see if there was one because i was going to go through it just you know and see if all of us could do it but i also wanted to do see if there was pictures that go with it too but there were none so i got this and just at that time that i get it chelsea says hey dinner's ready guys let's go and when she does that if you don't get ready and go and get dinner she gets very upset because she's been working her ass off trying to get dinner for everybody so i stop i put my computer down just to leave it there and i go walk into the kitchen well my wife is so awesome she sees my computer on the edge of the couch kind of sitting there and doesn't want the dogs to jump on the couch or somebody to jump on the couch and have it fall down and then have the screen break. She goes over to go grab my computer and then put it on the coffee table so nobody can touch it or hurt it. To her surprise, grabs it where it says, am I gay?

01:24:25 - 01:24:30 | Speaker 2:

I'm good. And that's his story and he's sticking to it.

01:24:33 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 1:

All the kids are moving out you're starting to figure yourself out because there is no bigger homosexual than me so i i i get the i get the whole hey so um what's this and only chelsea could say so it got me thinking about how

01:25:00 - 01:25:20 | Speaker 7:

I bet you that there are so many Google searches that you've probably done in your day that you wish that nobody would see. Or have you ever had it that somebody went onto your phone, grabbed your phone, and the last thing that they saw on your phone was something that you were watching or something that you had on your browser, whatever your browser was? Oh, I'm clear in history.

01:25:20 - 01:25:27 | Speaker 4:

I was going to say, before we start exchanging phones, is there a quick way to delete 110 tabs on Safari?

01:25:27 - 01:25:48 | Speaker 1:

Or have you ever been, you know, like with the iPhone, you can screen share and you can like put it up on your television. Have you ever put the wrong thing up or maybe made a mistake and hit that button and showed your family something that maybe they shouldn't have seen? Oh, but sounds like you have. I saw a TikTok of that yesterday. A guy literally had porn playing in the family room. Everyone saw it.

01:25:48 - 01:26:04 | Speaker 7:

We talked about this. Mike knows this because we've had me and I have talked about the conversation about the worst thing that happens to you. the last time that you were watching any kind of dirty movie, and then you get into your car, and your car's Bluetooth automatically overtakes and starts playing audio.

01:26:04 - 01:26:11 | Speaker 6:

You're looking at your phone like, why can't I hear this? You got to turn Bluetooth off. That's the key.

01:26:11 - 01:26:14 | Speaker 7:

Yours was playing in another place, wasn't it, for the family in the car?

01:26:14 - 01:26:22 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, they all left. They were all going to leave, and I opened up a tab, and it was connected to my car, and immediately you heard stuff.

01:26:22 - 01:26:40 | Speaker 7:

You heard things. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, or text 95500. What were you looking at, and if somebody caught you, or what do you hope nobody sees? Like, what's on your search, your Google search? What's up, Victoria?

01:26:41 - 01:26:55 | Speaker 3:

Hey, I had, like, a headache, and I was just Googling it, and they said I was dying. Every single time I have, like, something, I'm not feeling good, I'll Google it, and They always say, oh, you've got six months, oh, you have brain cancer, oh, you've got this or that. I'm sick of that.

01:26:55 - 01:27:02 | Speaker 7:

It does it all the time. Yeah, you can't ever, if you're not feeling good, do not go online to ask why. No. Because you are dying.

01:27:03 - 01:27:10 | Speaker 3:

Actually, Good Morning America said that, too. They said don't do that because they do it all the, they scare the heck out of everybody.

01:27:10 - 01:27:30 | Speaker 7:

Hey, you know what's funny, though, Victoria? The funniest is that there was one time where I did do the whole Google search on an ailment that I had, And I looked at it and I said, oh, that's not the case. And then it ended up being the case. Yeah. And it was honestly something too personal to talk about on the radio. Blair, hello.

01:27:31 - 01:27:31 | Speaker 4:

Hi.

01:27:32 - 01:27:32 | Speaker 7:

Hey, what's going on?

01:27:33 - 01:28:05 | Speaker 4:

So I actually found out that my husband had a motorcycle that I did not know about from his Google search. Really? How? Tell us more about that. So I went to use his phone to show him, like, the Bissell crossways that I wanted for our house. And in the Google search bar, it said, what should I do if I lost my motorcycle title? And so then I questioned him about it and found out that he had a motorcycle that I had no clue about. Where was he keeping it? It was in a storage unit.

01:28:06 - 01:28:11 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my gosh. And how was he going to drive it? Was he just driving to the storage unit and then taking it and going?

01:28:11 - 01:28:22 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. So we were in the process of moving. Um, so he was telling me that he was taking, um, boxes to the storage unit and then he would switch off his truck for the motorcycle.

01:28:23 - 01:28:29 | Speaker 6:

How did he think he was going to tell you? Like, he's just going to show up one day on a motorcycle and be like, so here's the thing.

01:28:30 - 01:28:57 | Speaker 4:

Yes. So, um, he knew that I was like not a fan of motorcycles, didn't want to have one. And so, um, I had been staying with my mom at the end of my pregnancy because it got super complicated and he worked midnight. So he was able to hide it fairly easily, and then after we had our daughter, she spent a month in the NICU, and then we stayed with my mom until our new house was ready, and so it was just super easy for him to hide it.

01:28:57 - 01:29:00 | Speaker 7:

That is wild. Wild story. Thank you for the call. Stella, what's happening?

01:29:02 - 01:29:06 | Speaker 5:

Hi. I actually needed to use a cell phone. I asked my mom to use hers.

01:29:07 - 01:29:22 | Speaker 7:

Real quick, stop for one sec, okay? is the whisper part because they could be hearing this or i was walking through the apartment building and i didn't want it well okay all right uh what start all over again because i didn't

01:29:22 - 01:29:39 | Speaker 5:

understand what you're saying i needed a phone to use so my mom was like here use mine and when i unlocked it it started like a whole porn video and i started laughing immediately because i didn't know what else to say and then she just awkwardly tells me oh your dad must have been using my phone

01:29:39 - 01:29:45 | Speaker 7:

again oh no oh good excuse mom that's a good one but wait this was your mom's phone because it

01:29:45 - 01:29:52 | Speaker 5:

almost made me more uncomfortable yeah but at least it takes the blame off for her true yeah

01:29:52 - 01:29:58 | Speaker 7:

no for sure honestly i think i'd rather my my mom be watching porn than my dad be watching porn

01:29:58 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 5:

really that's kind of how i

01:30:00 - 01:30:20 | Speaker 4:

so honestly yeah because all i'm thinking about him doing is violating himself and with my mom i'm at least thinking that she's looking at the theatrics of things you know my mom was like my mom used to my mom used to watch you know uh stuff all the time and she would always point out look at that beautiful tree you know like one of those you can actually you could probably figure

01:30:20 - 01:30:25 | Speaker 6:

this out based on that do you know what kind of point it was yeah because that will tell you that

01:30:25 - 01:30:30 | Speaker 4:

I will tell. Right. Thank you for the call, Melissa. She's not going to tell us now.

01:30:30 - 01:30:32 | Speaker 3:

She probably blocked it out, you guys.

01:30:33 - 01:30:38 | Speaker 4:

Melissa, this is an embarrassing one. You actually checked out your daughter's Google searches?

01:30:39 - 01:30:52 | Speaker 2:

I did. Yep. She was in high school, and she was like 10th grade. She was taking a medical terminology class, and she looked up who does hand jumps.

01:30:52 - 01:30:58 | Speaker 4:

Wait, she searched who does handjobs.

01:30:59 - 01:31:11 | Speaker 2:

Yes, so instead of like what doctor does, like works on hands or whatever. Oh! Oh my gosh.

01:31:11 - 01:31:13 | Speaker 5:

What's the curiosity? What was the answer to the first one?

01:31:15 - 01:31:20 | Speaker 4:

Eric? Yes. How you doing? What did you find on your son's phone?

01:31:20 - 01:31:34 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I just grabbed a small 13-year-old, so I clicked Google search, hit X, of course, and cite some of it. When I clicked the site, it's nothing but hardcore foot such and such, such and such.

01:31:34 - 01:31:37 | Speaker 4:

It was foot, foot, what?

01:31:37 - 01:31:39 | Speaker 1:

It was foot fetish. Foot fetish.

01:31:39 - 01:31:44 | Speaker 4:

Foot fetishes. Oh, okay. So you clicked that. How old is your son?

01:31:44 - 01:31:45 | Unknown:

13.

01:31:45 - 01:31:54 | Speaker 4:

Your 13-year-old son was looking up foot fetishes. Do you know if he was looking it up for a project at school or something?

01:31:55 - 01:31:58 | Speaker 1:

I don't think that was a school project. It's the worst thing he has to get out of there.

01:32:00 - 01:32:19 | Speaker 4:

All right, it's Mojo in the Morning Show. So you had a very embarrassing thing happen to you, Megan, where you did something that now you have to try to explain to somebody who i don't even know if you even know who this person i don't know this person but this person

01:32:19 - 01:32:38 | Speaker 3:

is technically a co-worker of all of us and it all happened because i am uh i hate microsoft office i just want to throw that out there hashtag not sponsored hashtag never will be sponsored hashtag i hate them um i i hate it so much because i'm not good at it because i refuse to do anything

01:32:38 - 01:32:43 | Speaker 4:

work related so i didn't that's what we have to use for our work our calendars yeah so i have an

01:32:43 - 01:33:49 | Speaker 3:

appointment with a gynecologist coming up a new gynecologist in a couple of weeks I'm trying to get on a new form of birth control and um they asked me at the office like for your next two cycles can you please like really document kind of take extra notes we're gonna go over changing medications and stuff so like really pay attention so I set a reminder in my calendar to set send me a reminder on my phone of when I thought my cycle was going to start as like a hey remember jot down some notes whatever it is and in order to do that i thought you had to put in your email address so it would send you like a ring like a notification yeah so i typed in mick and apparently there's a new employee at iheart with the first name mick so i'm assuming it's a dude and he now has the notifications for my cycle starting on the work calendar. And I'm very sorry, sir. I think you work in West Virginia. I can't wait to meet you one day, co-worker buddy.

01:33:50 - 01:34:14 | Speaker 4:

Oh my God, that is so funny. It's going to be amazing when he calls you and messes you on the day, like, so how are things? Are we good? You get that edible arrangement, you know who it's coming from. Do you think Do you think that you should look up this guy and maybe try to become friends with him, befriend him before it happens, or are you just going to let it go and hopefully he lets it go?

01:34:14 - 01:34:22 | Speaker 3:

Are you looking for him? Yep. Yeah. Let me pull it up. Let's look him up and see how he'll look. If it's a younger guy, too, it just has to be.

01:34:22 - 01:34:24 | Speaker 6:

I think I found him. Yeah.

01:34:24 - 01:34:27 | Speaker 3:

Maybe it's a her. Maybe Mick was the last name. Maybe there's two Micks.

01:34:28 - 01:34:33 | Speaker 6:

No, he's a program director. Oops. Oh. Hello.

01:34:33 - 01:34:36 | Speaker 5:

Mr. Program Director. Oh, I don't know that this is the one there.

01:34:36 - 01:34:38 | Speaker 6:

Because this is Chicago, so I don't know.

01:34:40 - 01:34:42 | Speaker 3:

Is it Chicago or is it, do you know if it was West Virginia?

01:34:42 - 01:34:43 | Speaker 6:

Well, hello, Mr. Program Director.

01:34:44 - 01:34:47 | Speaker 3:

I have no idea. Oh, so it's probably him, Mike? From Chicago?

01:34:48 - 01:34:48 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, yep.

01:34:49 - 01:34:51 | Speaker 3:

Oh, great. Cool, cool, cool. Not a place that I ever, yeah, all right, cool.

01:34:52 - 01:34:55 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, just only the place that you'd like to work one day. The most, yeah.

01:34:56 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 3:

No, no, don't worry. Wait, let's look him up on Facebook now. No, no, no. Personal Instagram.

01:35:00 - 01:36:09 | Speaker 4:

I've had that happen, too, with our iHeart email where I was getting, like, the complaint messages of another person who has the name Mojo. And it was like Seattle or something like that. And it was always the guy who kept screwing up somebody's spots. And I can't figure out if the guy was a production director or what. I didn't ever look at it. But then I started answering it and started answering the messages. And then there was another situation where our old sales manager, Liz, who now doesn't work here, but she works in Lansing for another company, kept sending me congratulatory text messages for Mojo, the guy that works in Lansing. And I was getting the congratulatories, and it was in a group chat. And Mojo never answered. The guy Mojo never answered. But you did? And I did. I'm like, how dare that guy, how disrespectful, Liz, that your Mojo wasn't answering. So this mojo was answering. We're going to track this guy down because that is pretty funny. That is pretty funny that this guy got it. The beauty of the whole thing would be if the guy, and I don't know who he is or what he does. Oh, look at him. But the beauty is he's in Chicago.

01:36:09 - 01:36:11 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah. Can I say his name?

01:36:11 - 01:36:13 | Speaker 4:

He works at iHeart in Chicago, right?

01:36:13 - 01:36:14 | Speaker 1:

Yes, yep.

01:36:14 - 01:36:18 | Speaker 4:

All right, hold on a second here. Let me just see. I wonder if he'll answer the phone. Yes, call. No.

01:36:18 - 01:36:22 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no. No, no, no. Yes, absolutely. No, no, hold on. How about we don't?

01:36:22 - 01:36:29 | Speaker 4:

No, I'm calling something. I'm calling Fred from the Fred Show in Chicago on 103.5 KISS FM.

01:36:29 - 01:36:31 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. This guy just looks like the most clean cut.

01:36:33 - 01:36:37 | Speaker 4:

I wonder if he'll- Like, he would have responded to the email just to make sure you're okay.

01:36:37 - 01:36:37 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

01:36:38 - 01:36:41 | Speaker 4:

He's probably talking right now. He's probably on the air talking. Come on.

01:36:41 - 01:36:46 | Speaker 3:

This is so much better than whatever they're talking about. Isn't his phone number on his profile right here? Is it? Yes. Should we call him? Call him directly.

01:36:46 - 01:36:58 | Speaker 6:

Please. You know what would be wild? Mojo, exactly how Chelsea saw your computer? Yeah. What if this Mike has a girlfriend, and now he sees Megan's period popping up on his computer? Oh, my gosh. Imagine that.

01:36:59 - 01:36:59 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

01:37:00 - 01:37:01 | Speaker 6:

I'm breaking up marriages.

01:37:02 - 01:37:03 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

01:37:03 - 01:37:04 | Speaker 2:

At the tone, please record.

01:37:04 - 01:37:06 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to leave Fred a message to call us.

01:37:06 - 01:37:09 | Speaker 2:

When you finish recording, you may hang up or press one for more options.

01:37:09 - 01:37:39 | Speaker 4:

Fred, call us. Have an emergency. We need to talk to you. It's about Megan's period. All right. How do I get this guy? Hold on a second. And so I got to get, so on his thing, send it to me real quick and I'll look it up here. All right. I got it. All right. Here we go. Stand by for radio broadcast. I think I have a dial on this line. It comes through as, I heard, he'll think that it's Bob Pittman calling him.

01:37:43 - 01:37:53 | Speaker 2:

Hey, it's Mick Lee, program director at 93.9 Light FM Chicago. It's not available right now, but you can leave a message or email me directly, micklee at iheartmedia.com.

01:37:54 - 01:37:59 | Speaker 5:

Everybody email him and tell him to remind Megan about her period.

01:38:00 - 01:38:26 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Mick, it's Mojo in the Morning calling from Detroit in Grand Rapids and Toledo. And Mick, we need to talk to you about a person on our show who has a very similar name to you. It's Megan Mick. Something bad happened. Call us back, please, if you can. Here, give him the inside line real quick. Give him the hotline number on that line, Lydia. All right.

01:38:28 - 01:38:31 | Speaker 3:

Don't worry about it, though. Don't worry about it. You don't have to.

01:38:32 - 01:38:33 | Speaker 4:

Victoria, what's going on? How you doing?

01:38:34 - 01:38:35 | Speaker 1:

Hey, how are you?

01:38:35 - 01:38:37 | Speaker 4:

Good. What did you think of this?

01:38:38 - 01:38:42 | Speaker 1:

Well, I just wanted to tell Megan this sounds exactly how romantic comedy starts.

01:38:43 - 01:38:49 | Speaker 3:

This could be your meet cube. Oh, my God, this is your meet you. What if he's married? It's very organic.

01:38:51 - 01:38:55 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, usually, though, do you think that it starts off by knowing the person's period?

01:38:56 - 01:38:58 | Speaker 1:

Well, there's always a first, right?

01:38:59 - 01:39:11 | Speaker 4:

He's actually a good-looking guy. He's not a bad guy. Yeah, look at the picture of him. He's kind of got like that all-American boy look. He's got the smile and the all-American boy look.

01:39:13 - 01:39:15 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah, he does look like the kid next door, doesn't he?

01:39:15 - 01:39:25 | Speaker 4:

Maybe we can work that out there. By the way, Tony Travato just said, Mick Lee is one of the biggest PDs in the company. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh.

01:39:25 - 01:39:29 | Speaker 3:

Hello, Mr. Program Director. I'm dying.

01:39:30 - 01:39:31 | Speaker 6:

Hello, Mr. Program Director.

01:39:33 - 01:39:37 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. This is going to be too funny. How great is this going to be?

01:39:37 - 01:39:38 | Speaker 6:

That's one way to introduce yourself.

01:39:39 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 4:

Megan, by the way, you will be voice tracking some kind of stations after this thing or fired. 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 844-MOJO-LIVE Daddy Daughter Dance June 23rd You want to take your dad? Call now

01:40:00 - 01:40:01 | Speaker 3:

We'll get you in. Dirty's coming up.

01:40:04 - 01:40:05 | Speaker 2:

Hold on.

01:40:05 - 01:40:17 | Speaker 3:

I got to interrupt this song. I got to interrupt this song real quick. Fred, Fred, are you there, Fred? Hi. Yes. Fred, we're on the radio right now. I just interrupted. I interrupted Creepin' for you. I just want you to know.

01:40:17 - 01:40:19 | Speaker 2:

You just stopped a song in the middle to talk to me?

01:40:19 - 01:40:23 | Speaker 3:

I did. I did it to talk to you because we have an emergency, Fred. Did you listen to your voicemail message?

01:40:24 - 01:40:26 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but I don't know what you're talking about.

01:40:26 - 01:40:37 | Speaker 3:

Okay. In the voicemail message I left you was, we have an emergency regarding Megan's period. Megan, explain the story to Fred, and then we're going to get him on here. Where'd she go? Go ahead.

01:40:37 - 01:41:16 | Speaker 1:

I'm right here. So essentially, Fred, quickly here, I set up a notification in my Gmail, or not Gmail, my work email, and it's because I'm going to a new gynecologist, and I'm going to switch up my birth control. And so they had me monitor my cycle pretty detailed for a couple of weeks leading up to my appointment. So I set a reminder in my work calendar, and in order to get the notification on my phone, I had to put in an email. I just typed Mick, which is my last name, and it wasn't my email that popped up. It was a program director in Chicago called Mick Lee. So I went to the wrong person, and now this guy is getting my period notifications.

01:41:17 - 01:41:18 | Speaker 2:

Oh, wow.

01:41:20 - 01:41:21 | Speaker 3:

Is Mick Lee a good guy?

01:41:22 - 01:41:25 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, we like Mick, yeah, and he's really into periods.

01:41:26 - 01:41:27 | Unknown:

Perfect.

01:41:28 - 01:41:37 | Speaker 3:

Is he single? Do we know anything about Mick Lee? Because listeners think that this might be Megan's love affair coming, like her meet cute.

01:41:37 - 01:41:45 | Speaker 2:

No, no, no. Mick is happily married to Claire, and they have kids. And, yeah, I know. But he certainly would be knowledgeable with two children.

01:41:46 - 01:41:52 | Speaker 1:

But now what if his wife sees my period notifications on his phone?

01:41:53 - 01:41:56 | Speaker 2:

Well, at least she knows you're getting one. Really?

01:41:56 - 01:42:10 | Speaker 3:

So, Fred, if you bump into him in the hall today, we left him a voicemail message. Just tell him, because Tony Travato said that he's very high up in the company, to not fire Megan for this, okay? Please.

01:42:10 - 01:42:13 | Speaker 2:

Well, very high up is generous, but yeah, I'll let him know.

01:42:15 - 01:42:20 | Speaker 3:

You know those PDs, they like to kind of pat each other on the backs every now and again, right?

01:42:20 - 01:42:32 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but we don't do that around here, so no. Okay, all right, thank you, Fred. And by the way, Megan, it's been nice working with you because I'm sure this is going to HR. So enjoy your unemployment. Thank you, thank you.

01:42:32 - 01:42:45 | Speaker 3:

We'll talk to you later. Now back to your song already in progress. Megan in for Shannon with this hour's Dirty on the 30.

01:42:46 - 01:43:45 | Speaker 1:

So Taylor Swift has announced the deluxe edition of her Midnight's album. It's going to be called Midnight's Till Dawn. It's going to include a new version of this song, It's Karma. This time, it's going to feature I Spice and even additional vocals from Lana Del Rey on their collaboration, Snow on the Beach. I think it's very interesting that she seems to be teaming up with I Spice after her maybe boyfriend said some pretty derogatory remarks about I Spice on a podcast that happened back in February. Maddie Healy talked about I Spice mocking her in Chinese and Hawaiian accents. accents maddie then later apologized but it wasn't until last month that he issued that apology and it wasn't until that video started making the rounds again online and he was getting a lot of backlash a lot of fans thought it wasn't very genuine that he was only doing it because he was getting a lot of key online well per taylor herself karma will be available to stream tonight at midnight and judging by the photo that she released alongside the announcement it probably looks like she and ice got together for a music video which will probably drop at the same time

01:43:45 - 01:43:59 | Speaker 3:

Maybe this is the I'm sorry Moment here This is I Spice's I want to be on a song with you And I will only forgive Maddie If I'm on a song with you

01:43:59 - 01:44:07 | Speaker 1:

But doesn't it almost make it worse That Taylor Swift has to clean up For her maybe boyfriend Like he's the problem It's not Taylor It's him

01:44:07 - 01:44:16 | Speaker 3:

This doesn't seem very Taylor at all The entire relationship But maybe this is like the new Taylor This is like Taylor kind of Coming into her own

01:44:16 - 01:44:18 | Speaker 1:

Weird choice but okay

01:44:18 - 01:44:35 | Speaker 3:

Also side note It's good to see my ex Ice Spice doing good things That's right For those that think that Mike actually Has any validity to the fact that his former Girlfriend was Ice Spice And not some girl that's still right now In Grand Rapids going Wait a second that was me

01:44:35 - 01:46:31 | Speaker 1:

Ryan Gosling Did an interview a sit down interview with Vogue And he actually shared in that That Margot Robbie assisted him in getting into character on the set of the movie Barbie that's going to be coming out later this year so on every day of filming Margot Robbie left Ryan Gosling a gift which he says helped him connect with his character of Ken she left a pink present with a pink bow from Barbie to Ken every day while they were filming saying they were all beach related like puka shells or a sign that says pray for surf because apparently Ken's job description for the movie is just the word beach. He said he never really knew what that meant but it felt like she was trying to help him understand through the gifts that she was giving. Barbie is going to follow the journey of Barbie and Ken into the real world. Issa Rae is going to be in it. Samuel Liu who had a very fun run on Celebrity Jeopardy a couple of weeks ago. He's going to be in it. Michael Cera and of course Ryan Gosling and Margot But Robbie, Barbie's going to be in theaters on July 21st, and you will catch me in the theater on July 21st. I'll be with you. Thank you. It looks so good. It looks so good. Miley Cyrus fans are worried that she's never going to tour again. Miley Cyrus took to Instagram on Wednesday to express her love and appreciation for fans, but was also getting into details about how difficult it can be going back on tour. She said, for clarity, I feel connected to my fans now more than ever. When I win, we win, even if I don't see them face-to-face every night at a concert. My fans are felt deeply in my heart. I'm constantly creating and innovating new ways that I can stay connected to the audience that I love without sacrificing my own essentials. She went on saying, like, performing for you is some of the best days of my life, but it really just sucks getting ready in a locker room, which is the reality of life on the road. So a lot of people are pretty upset because she just released her latest studio album, Endless Summer Vacation, back in March. A lot of people were expecting a tour. Probably doesn't look like we're going to get one. I wonder if she'll do a residency. I think she would do really well in a residency.

01:46:33 - 01:46:46 | Speaker 2:

That seems to be everybody's thing that they do now. They get to live in one place and enjoy it, right? And the thing is, I think that some of these artists will actually take residency literally there in Vegas, and they don't have to pay state income taxes, too.

01:46:47 - 01:46:49 | Speaker 1:

Is that why they're doing that?

01:46:49 - 01:46:50 | Speaker 2:

I've heard.

01:46:50 - 01:46:51 | Speaker 1:

Sneaker, sneakers. I know.

01:46:51 - 01:47:22 | Speaker 2:

Hold on a second. Hold on a second here. Tim is calling in because I, it's funny, I'm listening to Megan do the dirty and I haven't heard Megan do the dirty in a while because Shannon has been in and not taking any time off. But I'm going, wow, this is interesting. It's wild to hear you doing the dirty, you know, you know, haven't had it. Tim thinks that you're not doing it in a proper voice. Is that right, Tim? That is correct. I think she needs to do it in the newscaster voice from yesterday. Oh, Tim.

01:47:22 - 01:47:28 | Speaker 1:

Tim, Tim, I have one story left, and I can do that for you. Yes, thank you, Tim.

01:47:29 - 01:47:33 | Speaker 2:

Stay on the phone with us, Tim. Stay on the phone with us. Go ahead, Megan. Newscaster voice.

01:47:33 - 01:48:14 | Speaker 1:

Nearly a year after Khloe Kardashian welcomed her second child via surrogate with ex Tristan Thompson, their baby boy's name has finally been revealed as Tatum, which some eagle-eyed fans caught when their friends, Malika, called them out by name back on Instagram comments. She did confirm the name during the season three premiere of The Kardashian that airs today on Hulu. As for why it took so long to announce her son's name, well, the 38-year-old previously explained that it did take some time to settle on what to call him. Or what they needed the attention of people checking every post on Instagram to see if they had revealed the name.

01:48:14 - 01:48:17 | Speaker 2:

That sounds like you're actually putting commentary into that.

01:48:17 - 01:48:21 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I did. I did. Sorry. I forgot. Newscasters don't actually do that. My bad. That's right.

01:48:21 - 01:48:23 | Speaker 2:

You never see them put their commentary into it.

01:48:23 - 01:48:28 | Speaker 1:

So sorry. Okay. How do I do this factually without putting my own spit on it?

01:48:28 - 01:48:29 | Speaker 2:

Now back to you.

01:48:30 - 01:49:15 | Speaker 1:

Khloe opened up about feeling less than connected to her son. Actually, I felt like this was really sad about this whole story. She really opened up on the season three premiere of The Kardashians. It's not keeping up with The Kardashians anymore. It's not just The Kardashians. About feeling really guilty because she used a surrogate. And not because she used a surrogate, but not feeling as connected to this child right off the bat like she did with her first pregnancy with True. She said that she wishes people were more honest with her about the realities of surrogacy, saying that, you know, when your baby's inside you, they feel your heartbeat. You feel connected. And when you use a surrogate, you just don't have that right off the bat. And especially because Kim, her sister, used surrogacy to expand her family as well, was like, hey, why didn't you tell me this happens? Apparently Kim said it didn't happen to her.

01:49:15 - 01:49:21 | Speaker 2:

I actually like it when she's doing the newscaster voice more. Now she's going back to the Megan thing, right? Yeah, it's the best.

01:49:22 - 01:49:27 | Speaker 1:

01:50:04 - 01:50:08 | Speaker 1:

And I bring that up. By the way, do you think that there's people that just randomly get kicked out of everything?

01:50:09 - 01:50:16 | Speaker 2:

Everything, no. But I think there's always a good story when you get kicked out. I think there's never not a good story when you're kicked out of somewhere.

01:50:16 - 01:50:50 | Speaker 1:

I'm trying to think. The only thing that I think I could ever think of that I've been kicked out of in who knows how long. But sometimes I'll go to like a game and I'll sit in seats that are not my seats. and then the people that have them. And I will judge based on how, you know, the game's going, where I think I can actually get away with it. Because you know what happens is sometimes people will, you know, I don't know, five innings into a Tigers game or something like that, not be in these seats. And I'm going, there's no way they're coming if it's five innings and then you get kicked out. But I don't know.

01:50:50 - 01:50:57 | Speaker 2:

Or even like sports parents when they are arguing with other sports parents or cheering for their kids or yelling at umps.

01:50:57 - 01:51:14 | Speaker 1:

like you see them get kicked out all the time i saw a video uh uh the other day that was on uh one of the news sources that we have of a dad who got kicked out of his kids basketball game in indiana for beating up the referee it was like crazy so so what happened so go explain your story

01:51:14 - 01:52:52 | Speaker 2:

okay so i went ceci had a was a bridging ceremony which is like a the next level of girl scouts that she's in i didn't know what this was so all the parents went and we get there and my wife is Okay, first let me say that I'm probably in super protective, like sensitive to everything mode because Allie's now staying home from work. Like she's, it's going to happen anytime. So I'm a little sensitive to some things. I'll say that right off the bat. And the troop leader of Cecily's Girl Scouts was maybe just a little anxious about what was going on. Maybe she was a little nervous. Maybe she was a little stressed. I don't know. but she was incredibly rude the second we walked in the door she like ripped the cookies out of my wife's hands handed it to me and said you go put them over there i'm like uh okay so we go sit down and like they have to do this ceremony in front of the kids and the parents and stuff and my wife's helping because she's part of the the troop leaders or whatever and this lady is just rude every second every time my wife says anything she's oh god well you don't think i know what I'm doing in front of all these people exactly and I'm like okay okay well let's have a conversation let's put that in the back of your head and we'll have a Ali and I will have a conversation about that later and I'm like okay we'll let you know whatever and then she's like trying to um Ali's trying to help with pictures and this woman's ripping phones out of her hand and going I got it I got it I get my wife if you've ever met my wife in the ever at all she's one of the most soft-spoken, quiet human beings in the entire world.

01:52:52 - 01:53:07 | Speaker 1:

She honestly is the only reason why we like Mike. But no, but she is honest. Mike and Allie are both very nice, like polite, calm people. So this has got to be like a crazed woman.

01:53:08 - 01:54:03 | Speaker 2:

Yes. So, yeah, like you said, I'm chill. I'm nine times out of ten. It takes a lot to get me angry, like to a point of even of saying something that i'm angry and she hit that level and i'm again maybe i'm just sensitive because my wife's pregnant and because the baby's almost here so i'm like trying to be protective at the same time and i'm like what is going on so i end up going like it just blurts out of my mouth i have no idea uh why i couldn't contain it in that moment but i go are you serious and the whole place goes silent and turns slowly and looks at me and i'm like uh-oh because you know how you ever do that where you don't realize that it actually comes out and you say it and my wife texted me two seconds later and said you need to go you need to leave and go to the lobby or something so I took my son and made it seem like I was taking him to watch some movie on his phone because he wasn't sitting still or whatever but in reality like I just

01:54:03 - 01:54:16 | Speaker 1:

couldn't keep my mouth shut so Allie was the one that that asked you to leave and kicked you out of there and when you guys left there and when you guys were going home what did she say did she feel like this woman also was being a little, uh, little, she didn't, I don't think

01:54:16 - 01:54:32 | Speaker 2:

she unders, or I did ask and I, she's like, I don't think it was as bad as you think it was, Mike. I don't think it was, she's like, she was a little bit stressed and I could sense it. I'm like, is she always like that? And she's like, um, sometimes, but not really, you know, but she, she was rude.

01:54:32 - 01:54:37 | Speaker 1:

So, so you were the one that she thinks that was a little out of control.

01:54:38 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 2:

Um, I don't know that she's like, she's like, I saw it. She's like, I understood. I didn't understand why she was doing it, but I did see that she was being a little rude and a little over the top. And she's like, I don't know that it merited the reaction that you gave it, but it definitely was, you know, rude. To me, it's just like, there's no, especially in front of people, you just don't.

01:55:00 - 01:55:06 | Speaker 4:

do that like that's rude you ingrate bitch um so you shouldn't treat anybody like that ever

01:55:06 - 01:55:21 | Speaker 3:

i despise you so this woman is your daughter's girl scout troop leader right that your daughter has to be around for the entire time that she's part of the troop

01:55:21 - 01:55:32 | Speaker 2:

well she leveled up so i don't know if she has to anymore but okay so she's not following her to the next level i don't know she probably will have to That's another thing. And so you're going to see her again.

01:55:35 - 01:55:35 | Speaker 3:

Mike.

01:55:35 - 01:55:44 | Speaker 2:

You don't care about anyone but yourself. I didn't say anything other than that. That was all I said, but it was rude. Yeah, you weren't in the room.

01:55:44 - 01:55:58 | Speaker 3:

Do you ever worry, and maybe that's what Allie was kicking you out for, worry that poor Cecily is going to have to deal, even though she was this lady who sounded like she was nuts or having a nutty moment because everybody has nutty moments.

01:55:58 - 01:56:21 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think she was stressed, but you still don't treat people. And, again, maybe I'm hypersensitive because of the situation Allie and I are in right now where she's super pregnant. Yeah, sure. Be protective. Yes. So maybe it was a little bit of that mixed with a little bit of her stressing in the moment, and I should have probably kept my mouth shut. Bottom line, in that moment, I should have. But I don't think that I'm in the wrong way.

01:56:21 - 01:56:23 | Speaker 4:

You don't make me want to smoke.

01:56:23 - 01:56:28 | Speaker 3:

All right, let's talk to the listeners so that we don't get you in any more trouble than we already are right now.

01:56:28 - 01:56:32 | Speaker 2:

I just got a text. I'm in trouble. I did. I'm in trouble.

01:56:32 - 01:56:53 | Speaker 3:

Listen, this lady, we will help you sell cookies next year or something to make up for it, right? Maybe she's stressed out because dealing with the kids. Listen, I've coached kids. I was the dad leader for different things that they've done over the years. You feel like all the stress is on you, and sometimes you don't understand that you're being even more stressful.

01:56:53 - 01:56:58 | Speaker 2:

It never merits treating people like crap, especially in front of a group of people.

01:56:58 - 01:57:01 | Speaker 3:

Especially Allie, because Allie is a great person.

01:57:01 - 01:57:02 | Speaker 2:

Exactly.

01:57:02 - 01:57:15 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. All right, so let's talk to some of these people that got kicked out of things, because Mike got kicked out of, and by the way, it sounds like he's not going to be ever welcomed back into the Girl Scout troop. Carrie, what were you kicked out of?

01:57:16 - 01:57:39 | Speaker 4:

Hi there. I was kicked out of the Renaissance Festival. Oh, really? How do you get kicked out? Yes. What did you do? Well, I didn't really do anything. I wasn't happy with what somebody else did There's a guy in the corner That you throw tomatoes at He heckles you And you throw tomatoes at him You know what I'm talking about

01:57:39 - 01:57:40 | Speaker 3:

Okay yes I've seen

01:57:40 - 01:57:48 | Speaker 4:

So you pay to throw tomatoes at this guy He teases you why he's in one of those things That you stick your arms and your head through

01:57:48 - 01:57:51 | Speaker 3:

Yeah like the gauntlets Or whatever the thing's called

01:57:51 - 01:58:16 | Speaker 4:

Yeah I don't know what they're called It's weird anyways So the guy anyways He's like sitting there heckling some boy That was throwing tomatoes at him And he's like 8 years old And he said you should have been the leftovers On your mom's leg And I freaked out And kind of cussed him out And you know this was like 20 years ago I didn't even have kids then By the way I met you guys on St. Patrick's Day At Kennedy's

01:58:16 - 01:58:23 | Speaker 3:

Oh yeah So you actually then what Did you physically go after him

01:58:23 - 01:58:53 | Speaker 4:

No, the guy got mad at me and he was like, I have long blonde hair at the time. And like, he's like, Oh, Marsha, Marsha, Marsha, and started going back off on me. And so like, I said a few choice words and he's like, Oh, I'll have Oakland County or whatever escort you out. And I said, you don't have to have them escort me out. I know my way out. And so like, yeah, so basically they followed me out and told me I had to leave. And I was like, that's okay. I was leaving anyways. I'll never come back to this place again.

01:58:53 - 01:59:14 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. Wow. You know what's funny is those places like that, like where the guy gets to be rude to people, make me feel really uncomfortable. It's like the restaurants, like, in Chicago, they used to have a place called Ed DeBevick's, or they now have Dick's Last Resort, and they just are so rude to you, and you just feel so uncomfortable when they're doing it. Raphael, you got kicked out of your son's basketball game?

01:59:16 - 01:59:19 | Speaker 1:

Yes, good morning. I did. Can you guys hear me?

01:59:19 - 01:59:20 | Speaker 3:

Yes. Yes. What's going on, Dad?

01:59:21 - 01:59:26 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay, perfect. Yeah, so first-time caller, long-time listener, so I got to hear the.

01:59:26 - 01:59:28 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. There we go.

01:59:29 - 02:00:00 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. Appreciate that. So it became normal for me to get kicked out of my son's AAU basketball game. So the one thing that was funny was that he started his freshman year, and I was going to the practice the first day, and I'm the only parent standing around, and coaches are staring at me, and they're just looking around, and I'm looking around, and I'm just standing there watching the kids, and they walk up to me after about 10 minutes, and they're like, sir, practice is closed. You got to go. So I just felt kind of bad because I was with him for the last three years, four years training him, and now I can't.

02:00:00 - 02:00:08 | Speaker 4:

see him practice anymore and they just like kicked me out of my home and i was sad and my wife looked at me and was like what's wrong i'm like oh i got kicked out of practice you're that

02:00:08 - 02:00:29 | Speaker 5:

dad by the way that that's the worst the the parents that that you know will constantly be yelling at referees or screaming in the stands or even at the coaches like yelling at coaches um those they they embarrass their uh their poor kids mike no i didn't do that yeah okay

02:00:29 - 02:00:45 | Speaker 6:

Okay, so my wife just texted me. She's very angry right now. It is partially my fault. It is partially my fault. Like, I know I'm super sensitive to it, but I just felt like in that moment, it was not necessary. Yeah. And I had to.

02:00:45 - 02:00:55 | Speaker 5:

You're protective of Allie. You were doing an ASAP Rocky on that woman. Yeah. Sort of. Hold on. Hold on. Kate, you want to explain something to Mike here?

02:00:56 - 02:01:35 | Speaker 3:

Yes. Okay. So I am going by the name Kate because I don't want anyone to know my real name because I'm a co-proof Girl Scout leader. And, Mike, let me just tell you, some people take it very seriously, but for others, it's not that deep. It's not that serious. And it sounds like this crazy mom was taking it out on Allie. And it's totally unnecessary because it's not that deep for some people. Some people take Girl Scouting very seriously. So I feel for your poor sweet wife.

02:01:36 - 02:01:53 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I don't think that this woman is crazy. I think she was rude in this moment, and I couldn't keep my mouth shut. And should have kept my mouth shut and had a word with maybe somebody afterwards. I shouldn't have blurted that out in the middle of Girl Scouts. Kate, any way that you can get Cecily a new troop?

02:01:53 - 02:01:58 | Speaker 5:

There are probably a few of them in that area.

02:01:58 - 02:02:02 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Mike, is your bike going backwards with all this backpedaling that you're doing?

02:02:02 - 02:02:06 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'm in big trouble. I'm in big trouble. Liz, what did you get kicked out of?

02:02:07 - 02:02:09 | Speaker 1:

A car dealership.

02:02:09 - 02:02:13 | Speaker 5:

What car dealership? Well, don't say the name, but why were you kicked out of a car dealership?

02:02:14 - 02:02:31 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so I bought a car from them about a couple weeks later. The whole H-frame fell off the car while I was driving it. And they were trying not to fix it, so I got a little crazy. I mean, they fixed my car, but I'm not allowed back now.

02:02:32 - 02:02:38 | Speaker 5:

Oh, jeez. Well, I'd be crazy, too, if I bought a car and the thing fell apart. What's going on, Ron? Where were you kicked out of?

02:02:39 - 02:02:40 | Speaker 4:

A funeral home. What?

02:02:41 - 02:02:41 | Speaker 6:

For what?

02:02:43 - 02:03:01 | Speaker 4:

My sister was the girlfriend of the deceased. And the ex-wife did not like that she was there. There was words back and forth. And then, of course, the sheriff was called and the sheriff came in and they came in and said, you guys got to go.

02:03:01 - 02:03:10 | Speaker 5:

So the deceased was already divorced from the ex-wife. So they were like, yeah. And in your sister was dating him, why was she not allowed to be there if she was the current girlfriend?

02:03:11 - 02:03:15 | Speaker 4:

That's the question. You know, they didn't like that she was there.

02:03:16 - 02:03:21 | Speaker 5:

But also he must have had it in his will or something to let the ex-wife be still part of this.

02:03:22 - 02:03:27 | Speaker 4:

I don't know how that went out, but she handled everything, I believe, for his funeral.

02:03:28 - 02:03:35 | Speaker 5:

Did you at all, like, want to, you know, open up a can of, you know, whoop-ass?

02:03:35 - 02:03:47 | Speaker 4:

Well, I was there with my other brother, which we're both big guys, you know, to protect my sister. So that was the reason why we were there, kind of. Make sure everything was okay.

02:03:47 - 02:03:53 | Speaker 5:

Fighting with the dead. Still not as bad as fighting with the Girl Scout troop leader.

02:03:53 - 02:03:55 | Speaker 4:

No, that's much more difficult.

02:03:57 - 02:04:18 | Speaker 5:

You know why? Because she's still alive, and she'll remember this. Yeah, but I'm going to be dead after this. Motor in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. All right, let's get caught up on what's trending. Shannon did have to leave early. She left an hour ago to go to Smith's preschool graduation. Megan has the dirty. What's going on?

02:04:18 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 2:

You stuck with me. Yesterday morning, a cryptic and concerning social media post by Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Moran led to a wellness check by the police. The posts have since been deleted, but he had four pictures of family members. They read, love you, mom, love you, pops, you the greatest baby girl, love you, bye, stay strong, Ja. Considering all of the drama surrounding him over the past couple of weeks, seems like There was a pretty good case here for the Shelby County Sheriff's Office to pay a visit to his Tennessee home and do a wellness check. A spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office said he is fine. And Morant reported that he told them that he's just taking a break from social media, so you're not going to hear from him.

02:05:00 - 02:05:15 | Speaker 3:

time soon. You want the Stephen A. Smith commentary on this? Because a lot of people in the NBA are really freaked out about this guy. Yeah, for sure. I mean, he obviously does not seem like he gets the extent of what he's done so far, but then he puts that out and people are obviously worried about

02:05:15 - 02:05:23 | Speaker 5:

his safety. It even sounds like Stephen A. Smith was the one that was telling people about this, trying to get, you know, others involved so nothing bad happened. I for one

02:05:23 - 02:06:09 | Speaker 1:

can tell you that I called the NBA League office. They had no idea what was going on. they appeared and sounded a little fearful. It's a few players throughout the league that I contacted. They were uncomfortable. A couple of ex-teammates of his, who used to be on the Memphis Grizzlies, that know a thing or two about Ja Morant. His habits, the company he keeps, the pressures that lie on his shoulders, They were concerned. And evidently, so was the police.

02:06:09 - 02:06:14 | Speaker 5:

Sir, I'm going to need you to take about seven pauses out of that sentence. Jesus Christ.

02:06:15 - 02:06:20 | Speaker 3:

By the way, the entire time you're saying if it wasn't for obviously the wellness of somebody, I was going to go,

02:06:20 - 02:07:07 | Speaker 5:

All right, looks like Britney Spears and her mom may be having a little bit of a mini reunion. and maybe mom finally has her back for the first time. At least now, Brittany is letting her mom back into her life by letting her fly into L.A. for a visit. Lynn Spears was spotted at LAX. Then she was seen outside of Cade Hudson's home. That's Brittany's manager. And then she Ubered from his house to her house, but she wasn't there very long, only about 30 minutes. Now, the rumor is that you have been talking a little bit more recently via text message, so this seems to be the first face-to-face meeting in a really long time. Remember, the last we heard about the relationship, Britney said that her mother had betrayed her during that crazy conservatorship. So maybe there's a new battle on the horizon. People are talking about another conservatorship. Maybe mom's going to be more involved this time to protect her. I don't know.

02:07:07 - 02:07:20 | Speaker 2:

I wonder. I remember a couple of weeks ago, Shannon did that story where Kevin Federline may be moving to Hawaii and the kids are now wanting to leave and go to Hawaii too. So I wonder if these two situations are related. Britney needs more support.

02:07:21 - 02:07:24 | Speaker 5:

Who knows? Good point. Kevin's paying attention to the dirtyness.

02:07:24 - 02:07:29 | Speaker 3:

She's always been close to her mom or closer than she was with her dad.

02:07:29 - 02:07:52 | Speaker 5:

But mom didn't really protect her from dad either. Mom knew what was going on and didn't have her back. Tina Turner passed away at the age of 83 yesterday. She reportedly succumbed to a long battle with multiple illnesses, including intestinal cancer diagnosis back in 2016. She had a kidney transplant the following year. She did pass away in a residence near Zerch, Switzerland.

02:07:52 - 02:07:56 | Speaker 3:

That was wild that she lived in Switzerland I always think that it's interesting

02:07:56 - 02:08:26 | Speaker 5:

She lived in France for like decades Yeah, she never really liked living in the United States And one point in an interview they did They asked her if she still felt American And she said, well, my businesses are in America And I was like, yes, queen Fun fact, really quickly Did you know that she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice? Really? Yeah, once with Ike in 91 And then by herself in 2021 Which I thought was really, really cool She actually talked about how she felt about her passing before she died.

02:08:26 - 02:08:40 | Speaker 4:

Even when it's time to leave and go to another planet, excited about that because I'm curious. What is it about? Nobody can tell you because nobody has come back. I'm not excited about to die, but I don't regret it when it's time for me because I've done what I came here to do.

02:08:41 - 02:09:18 | Speaker 5:

God, I love her. This is a hard one. The Jonas Brothers fans are loving their new album. It is called The Album. Even though it was actually really close to being called something a little bit edgier. So Nick, Kevin, and Joe did like a fan Q&A and one of them asked if the album wasn't called the album, what would you have named it? And they revealed, we actually almost named it Blue Jeans and Marijuana and it all has to do with their song called Americana. The alternate album name wouldn't have been random because it was actually in the first lyric. No, no, from the beginning, from the beginning. From the beginning? Yeah, from the beginning. Because it's like the first like four lines of the song.

02:09:18 - 02:09:20 | Speaker 3:

Okay, I'm playing it from the beginning. Ready? This is from the beginning.

02:09:21 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 5:

Now there's a little bit of an opening. I will say before the lyrics start, I'm a huge fan of this song. It is good. But this is Americana. It feels like a summer bop to me. Like, it feels like the window's down, driving a little bit too fast. That kind of. so almost had a little bit of an edgier title but instead we just got the album either way it's really good and then really quickly I know I'm ready

02:10:00 - 02:10:44 | Speaker 1:

a little bit long but what is he gonna do stop me let's talk about twitter space's event last night to announce the president oh you're talking about me being the he yeah oh i was like i don't hear what you have to say what you're talking about because we're going to talk about florida governor ron de santis making headlines for the technical problems he experienced during his announcement that happened on twitter now according to data from twitter around 600 000 people tried to join in as it was starting and then elon musk said that it was melting the servers and led to several crashes eventually only about 140 000 people stuck around to hear it my favorite part of this whole thing is that they were obviously reading from a script right and ron de santis started reading elon musk part about himself it's so sorry about that we we've got so many people

02:10:44 - 02:11:34 | Speaker 3:

here that i think we are we are uh kind of melting the servers uh which is a good sign um all right i'd like to just introduce the the uh the folks in in the room here so it's safe to say we wouldn't be making history without the man sitting next to me, Elon Musk. His decision to purchase this platform last year to restore to its original mission as a beacon for free speech and even to expose Twitter's past complicity with a government-sensitive regime might have surprised many, but not those of us who've known and worked with Elon for nearly a quarter century. His commitment to freedom is willing to put his money back. It's upset the narrative imposed on us by our government, elite institutions and corporate media uh go ahead and send a heart up if you want to say thank you elon here we go uh governor de santa's first drew my attention and support when i saw

02:11:34 - 02:11:55 | Speaker 1:

how he responded to oh gee about my home state of california not your not your part buddy not your part uh his competition from the white house immediately jumped in to make uh a pretty funny tweet about the whole thing president joe biden tweeted out a link to his own fundraising page with a comment this link works do you think he actually tweeted absolutely not that man does not

02:11:55 - 02:12:35 | Speaker 2:

tweet but he's got a team that does it for him by the way i have to tell you that it's wild how you know they're doing the announcements of who's going to run for president and we're still two years away i know i hate elections i hate politics in general and this is why i hate two-party system you know where these you know the republicans democrats like just let's not do this let's do it like the voice or American Idol. Amen. And let's just have a panel of people go, you know what? Hi, I'll take you. I'll take you. You'll be my team. And then we don't hear about them. And then, of course, we'll have a season finale and Ryan Seacrest definitely is the host over Carson Daly. I think that's how

02:12:35 - 02:12:37 | Speaker 1:

we should do it. It's very American.

02:12:38 - 02:12:39 | Speaker 2:

02:13:00 - 02:13:19 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning Show. So I would like to go on record with something here right now. I'm going to go on record by saying he's not perfect. Yeah Who are you talking about? Tony Travato our boss

02:13:19 - 02:13:21 | Speaker 1:

Oh I'm excited for this

02:13:21 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 2:

He is not So we've talked about our boss from time to time On our show His name is Tony Travato Whenever I say his name to people People always go why do you say Travato And I said I don't know For some reason when I came here to the radio station They told me who the guy was going to be And I looked it up and I'm like He sounds like the type of guy that would say his name I'm like, Travato. And so Tony is a father. He's got three beautiful kids. And he's got an awesome wife. His wife, Brooke, by the way, does it all. I know this guy does it all around here, but his wife, Brooke, does it all at home because he's always here. So Nicholas, Christopher, and Emily are great kids. and a story happened the other day that came up that makes me think that there are maybe some other parents that are like this if you are a parent that listens to the show and is willing to admit that if I quickly asked you what grade is your kid in and how old is your kid you would have to think about it for a second then you are Tony Travato because and I want you to call us up and tell us if you've ever had this happen to you and ever had it come back to bite you in the ass. And by the way, Shannon and Mike are out of the studio right now because they're both dealing with kids things. Mike is chaperoning a field trip at the zoo and Shannon is at Smith's end of the school year function. Have fun. And the remaining people who... Uh.

02:15:00 - 02:15:14 | Speaker 1:

We don't have any other kid events here in the studio, so we got Megan here in the studio with us. We got the new guy, Kev. We got Mojo. And I'm going to call our boss and see if he's not on a meeting. Hello? Tony.

02:15:15 - 02:15:16 | Speaker 2:

Yes, sir.

02:15:16 - 02:15:24 | Speaker 1:

Hi. It's Mojo, Megan, and Kevin in the morning here. What's going on? We're the three that's still remaining on the show right now.

02:15:24 - 02:15:37 | Speaker 2:

What'd you do? Did you kick everybody else off the show? Yeah, but you can admit it. We're your three favorites, right? yeah well you you are except you the picture that pops up when you call me is uh it's not

02:15:37 - 02:15:43 | Speaker 1:

very good why what is the picture that pops up when megan calls you every time i see megan she's

02:15:43 - 02:15:52 | Speaker 2:

absolutely inappropriate sounds like me we need to discuss this megan dear hr very offensive

02:15:52 - 02:15:57 | Speaker 1:

is it a middle finger emoji is that my picture on your phone it's not an emoji it's an actual

02:15:57 - 02:16:04 | Speaker 2:

picture because every time i see you that's what i see so tony um quickly before we get into

02:16:04 - 02:16:11 | Speaker 1:

to anything here let's ask you a quick question name your children and tell me how old each one

02:16:11 - 02:16:29 | Speaker 2:

is go uh well i have joe jacob no that's wrong oh come on go uh well i have emily she's eight I have Christopher. I think he's 12. And Nick just got his driver's license, so he's 16.

02:16:29 - 02:16:49 | Speaker 1:

All right. All right. Is that right? Yes. 17 seconds. So I think it's close. I don't know. Brooke will tell us for sure if she's listening. She'll have to call us up and tell us or text me. So, Tony, you were at school the other day for a function for your baby, Emily, the cutest little girl in the world. And you were, what, at cross country?

02:16:49 - 02:18:30 | Speaker 2:

so we went to track and I walk up to uh you know see Emily and you know I wanted to see her run she had two track meets for the entire year so I walk up to um I see somebody that I know which is like great because you know I'm walking in late as it is and it's Mrs. Doggett who is unanimously one of my you know all of my kids favorite teachers and she's awesome Mrs. Doggett who teaches in Milford and I said hey has Emily run yet and she says I don't know what what grade is she in I said without hesitation I said she's in fourth grade and as soon as I said that I'm like is she in fourth grade and keep in mind i just told you she's eight yeah and i'm like oh god she's not in fourth grade and mrs doggett without hesitation said she smiled and said no she's not my daughter's in fourth grade i said you're right she's in third grade so wrong again i stand by the fence and i'm like oh my god she's not even in third grade what grade is she in he still doesn't know there and she's standing by all the second grade kids and the only reason i know that is because there's a sign that says second she's in second grade not only was i off but i was your way off two years now that's that's a

02:18:30 - 02:19:04 | Speaker 1:

funny story because i think that that's a typical tony thing but if you ask tony tony name the five songs that are in a rotation right now on channel 955 oh yeah david guetta yeah post malone yeah all right no problem the guy knows this stuff i'll tell you the test scores on this tony you actually had another embarrassing incident happen with your kids in school and that was you had no idea what school your kids went to oh yeah when we first moved here this is great i

02:19:04 - 02:19:39 | Speaker 2:

am winning father is father's day this weekend now it's coming up though you got time okay good I'm gonna get best dad ever cards for all these so yeah when when we first moved to Milford um I went to a function and somebody said uh oh you know we're talking about kids or whatever small talk they said what school do your kids go to I'm like I have no idea I couldn't tell you you put a gun to my head I said I could drive you there but I don't know the name of the school and I said I think i know the school district but i don't know the actual name of the school it's terrible all

02:19:39 - 02:19:55 | Speaker 1:

right so we're here don't worry if you want to i don't know if you got a meeting or something right now you can listen i'm going to take calls from people who are just like tony on this one here that are people in anybody can call on this one that have zero idea their kids age where they

02:19:55 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 2:

go to school any of that stuff please bail me out because i feel uh

02:19:59 - 02:20:01 | Unknown:

You

02:20:00 - 02:20:40 | Speaker 3:

Like a total loser of a father. Here's the thing. Your kids right now are in their school, which you don't know the name of, and they're probably making you your Father's Day gift at this moment as we speak. And Mrs. Doggett is probably sitting there going, make them something extra special. Like your name, age. You know what you need? You need to have that thing. You know how they always say that you should have a picture of your child, an updated picture just in case, God forbid, something happens to them? Tony needs to always have that updated So he knows what's going on Alright we'll talk to you later boss Okay see you guys That's our boss Tony Travato Oh we should have asked him about that program director in Chicago too

02:20:40 - 02:20:42 | Speaker 2:

Oh no let's not bring it back

02:20:42 - 02:20:45 | Speaker 3:

Josh what's going on

02:20:45 - 02:20:46 | Unknown:

Hi

02:20:46 - 02:21:02 | Speaker 3:

Hi what's happening Josh do you know Your children By the way you know what you need Back when I was younger they used to have on milk cartons When you'd buy milk at the store They had a kid's name Or a kid's face of a missing kid

02:21:02 - 02:21:42 | Speaker 1:

Josh is like, yeah Josh, are you there? Yeah, I'm here I always have trouble with my kid's name And I didn't think about this when I did it When he was born But I actually have my son's name and birthday Tattooed on my wrist And all the time I'll be filling something out or somebody who asks me, oh, how old is your kid? And I forget, and I have to look down, and I see his age on my wrist. Or I'll remember his age and then realize, oh, my God, my tattoo's wrong, and I have to look down, and then I realize my tattoo's right, and I have the wrong birthday. I forget all the time.

02:21:42 - 02:22:04 | Speaker 3:

Listen, I'm going to say this, that you brought them into this world. I almost said the word thing. You actually brought them into this world, and then you probably support them, right? You're actually good about making sure That you pay their bills Yeah That's all my dad did I think you're good you're alright What's up Eli

02:22:04 - 02:22:09 | Speaker 1:

Mojo I'm gonna call you out man

02:22:09 - 02:22:09 | Speaker 3:

Why

02:22:09 - 02:22:14 | Speaker 1:

You want that on this show And you forget your kid's name

02:22:14 - 02:22:32 | Speaker 3:

I do it all the time I actually You know what I do Eli I do when I'm trying to talk to Luke I do Joey Jacob Luke I actually have thrown my dog's names in there, too. Henry, Louie. Like, I do that all the time, and I have no idea why that is. Like, I'm talking to the person.

02:22:33 - 02:22:42 | Speaker 1:

My mom forgets my name all the time. Does she really? Each kid, you go to each kid, it's crazy. How old are you? I'm 18.

02:22:43 - 02:22:53 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so what, high school? Did you just graduate high school? Yeah. So it becomes a situation where, as a kid, you probably sit there and you go, does my mom actually love me? You know?

02:22:54 - 02:22:58 | Speaker 1:

No, it was perfect because every time she wanted someone to do a troll in the house, she never picked my name.

02:23:00 - 02:23:07 | Speaker 3:

That's actually a good point on that. Thank you for the call, Eli. And why the hell aren't you in class right now? Are you done with school for the year?

02:23:09 - 02:23:20 | Speaker 1:

Of course. Say that again. How would I be in class? No, I'm not. I have a break until an hour or so.

02:23:20 - 02:23:28 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you're calling us from school right now as we speak. Yeah. I love this. What? This is great. Listening to us.

02:23:28 - 02:23:31 | Speaker 1:

I've been listening to your show for three years now.

02:23:31 - 02:23:40 | Speaker 3:

That's the best. Thank you. And I like the fact that you're listening. Are you going to graduate as an 18-year-old, or are you going to be one of those guys that's like a seven-year senior?

02:23:43 - 02:23:45 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I don't want to leave high school. It's too much fun.

02:23:45 - 02:23:50 | Speaker 3:

Honestly, I'd love to go back to high school, too. I would do it in a second. High school is good.

02:23:50 - 02:23:51 | Speaker 2:

Absolutely. Absolutely not.

02:23:52 - 02:24:03 | Speaker 3:

Take care of yourself, okay? All right. You too, man. All right. We'll see you. Megan, somebody just said you can relate to this one here. They have their parent always misspelling their name.

02:24:03 - 02:24:04 | Speaker 2:

Uh-oh.

02:24:04 - 02:24:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. And, oh, hold on. And actually, Sherry wants to admit to the fact that you misspell your son's name, Sherry?

02:24:12 - 02:24:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. So he needed his Social Security for work, his Social Security card. So I got it out last year. Mind you, he's 18 this year. And I realized that for 17 years, I was spelling his middle name wrong. What's his middle name? It's McCormick, like the spice. But I got the K, or in fact, I got the C on the end. So I must have been majorly drugged up when I put it down the first certificate. Yeah. So for 17 years, I spelled my son's name wrong.

02:24:39 - 02:24:45 | Speaker 3:

You know what? That's all right. You're his mom. You birthed him. You can do anything you want to, right?

02:24:46 - 02:24:46 | Speaker 2:

Right.

02:24:47 - 02:24:51 | Speaker 3:

Thank you for the call. Take care of yourself. Matt, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning.

02:24:52 - 02:25:00 | Speaker 2:

Hey, I don't know my girl's age. Like, I know one of them's in ninth grade, and I think the other one's in seventh, but I'm not.

02:25:00 - 02:25:21 | Speaker 5:

Sure. And you are the best dad of the year. We would love to recognize you as our Mojo in the Morning dad of the day. Yeah. Congrats to you. Yay. Oh, that's wonderful. By the way, would you know what your kids look like? That's the other thing, too. I just want to know if you passed them on the street, would you know?

02:25:21 - 02:25:31 | Speaker 1:

You are the father. Yeah, they look like me. All right. A string of horrible decisions and bad hires led us to this. Sorry, this is Mojo in the Morning.

02:25:58 - 02:26:33 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning So this week we announced a new addition to the Mojo in the Morning show We have a new friend, new family member Please welcome to the family, the Mojo family Kev Kevin And as we've given you opportunities to meet him We're actually kind of meeting him And something that I learned about Kev was that we're going to have a problem going out to eat together.

02:26:34 - 02:26:35 | Speaker 4:

I guess so.

02:26:35 - 02:26:51 | Speaker 5:

Yesterday, you were talking about Chipotle. Yeah. And I did not know this until you said this yesterday on the air, but you are, what did you say, Presbyterian? What are you? What did you say?

02:26:51 - 02:26:53 | Speaker 4:

That's for church, bro.

02:26:53 - 02:26:55 | Speaker 5:

Oh, what are you?

02:26:56 - 02:27:02 | Speaker 4:

It's Pescatarian. But crazy, my grandmother is Presbyterian, so he's kind of got a two-for-one there. I wasn't far off on that one.

02:27:03 - 02:27:11 | Speaker 5:

I was trying to... You were far off. I was trying... Oh, really? I mean, they both have fish as their symbols, right?

02:27:11 - 02:27:12 | Speaker 2:

That was so random.

02:27:12 - 02:27:22 | Speaker 5:

Oh, do they really both have fish as their symbols? They do, yeah. Okay, so you don't eat meat. I do not. But you don't eat just vegetables. You eat, what, fish?

02:27:22 - 02:27:31 | Speaker 4:

I eat fish, yes, indeed. So, listen, this is for all of my pescatarian and vegetarian and vegan friends.

02:27:31 - 02:27:34 | Speaker 5:

Real quick, do you eat Filet-O-Fish from McDonald's?

02:27:35 - 02:27:37 | Speaker 4:

Nah. That always grossed me out for some reason. Really?

02:27:37 - 02:27:41 | Speaker 3:

That blue wrapper, the fish. I was like, nah, bruh. Can I let you know a little secret?

02:27:41 - 02:27:42 | Speaker 4:

Let me in.

02:27:42 - 02:27:47 | Speaker 3:

Wendy's for Lent gets a really good fish sandwich. Really? Yeah, there you go. Okay, okay.

02:27:48 - 02:28:08 | Speaker 4:

So, yeah, so I'm a pescatarian. I've been a pescatarian for a solid six years. and I feel as though us pescaterian, my fellow veganites, we get punished for not eating meat. And the backstory is, I guess how it started six years ago, I was on Netflix and a documentary came out called What the Health.

02:28:09 - 02:28:14 | Speaker 5:

Everybody know this one? Didn't that make everybody somewhat of a, or is that the one that everybody was talking about?

02:28:14 - 02:28:21 | Speaker 2:

It was that one and it was Food, Inc. And if you've seen Food, Inc., it'll never leave you.

02:28:21 - 02:29:28 | Speaker 4:

I think the same guy did. I think he did Food Inc. first, and then he did What the Health. So for those who don't know, it's an investigative documentary into the food industry, and it highlights diseases and what foods trigger you and all that fun stuff. And by the time that the credits rolled, so did my appetite for meat. Everything just rolled away. So I haven't had meat or any form of it in six years. But the crazy thing is when I go to my – I guess he's like my brother. He's my cousin Gerard. Shout out Gerard. Gerard has all of the fun family gatherings. Anytime there's a big fight, a Super Bowl, barbecue, we go to Gerard's house. And Gerard does an amazing job of setting things up. All the music is right, all the drinks are right, and all the food is right. Except he makes me buy and bring my own fish and shrimp. And I feel like I'm being punished. Like, if you're going to the store and you're buying everything for everybody, Everybody's got hot dogs, hamburgers, steaks, ribs, and I'm just sitting there. And if I do not bring fish, then I literally have to stay with sides. Yep, absolutely.

02:29:28 - 02:29:37 | Speaker 5:

So because of your eating that you do or whatever, I don't know, it's habits or-

02:29:37 - 02:29:37 | Speaker 2:

Dietary needs.

02:29:37 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 5:

Dietary needs. Because of your dietary needs, he won't buy the stuff that you need, which is interesting because I have a gluten allergy and I cannot eat gluten. People think I do it for choice. I don't. I do it because if I get contaminated with or cross contaminated with gluten, I get sick. My family and friends will actually provide.

02:30:00 - 02:30:16 | Speaker 1:

I feel bad sometimes doing this, but they've never asked me to bring my own food. They'll actually have a dish there made for me, or sometimes they'll make the entire thing gluten-free and say, hey, everything you can eat. I'm not that lucky. Is that just something that happens in your family?

02:30:17 - 02:30:20 | Speaker 2:

Literally, I get a text message like, bring fish.

02:30:20 - 02:30:35 | Speaker 1:

wait does that happen in a lot of uh a lot of families when you have these different food uh you know preferences do your your family members make you bring your own food yeah so

02:30:35 - 02:30:50 | Speaker 3:

kevin i were just talking about this i was vegan for a long time and pescatarian as well and i remember like thanksgiving spring my my own thanksgiving meal in a bag like i just want to spend time with my family but i cooked for seven hours before i got here so wait so thanks

02:30:50 - 02:30:56 | Speaker 1:

Thanksgiving, you would not eat a turkey, right? Would you eat a, what would it be, like a, a foe, what is it?

02:30:57 - 02:30:58 | Speaker 3:

A tofurkey.

02:30:58 - 02:30:59 | Speaker 1:

Tofurkey.

02:30:59 - 02:31:18 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, probably. Potatoes, gravy, and cranberry sauce. But I think, Kevin, is it the nail on the head here? When it comes to, like, dietary meat, like, if you're allergic to something, people will work around it. But if you choose not to eat something, people are like, go screw yourself. Exactly. You're on your own.

02:31:18 - 02:31:24 | Speaker 2:

You made that decision, lie in the bed. So for the longest time, it's like either I eat sides or I go hungry.

02:31:25 - 02:31:40 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Do you find, Kevin, I've not known you for long, but do you feel like it's helped your physical health, both physically, you know, on the inside and also on the outside?

02:31:41 - 02:32:09 | Speaker 2:

Here's what I will say, and this is going to sound crazy. People are going to think I'm a liar, but it's very factual. The first week that I completely cut out, I guess, red meat or any type of meat, I felt as though I could see better. I'm telling you, my vision got clearer. I felt like the air was clearer. Everything just cleared up for me. It was a great decision. That's interesting. And I also don't think that I – I don't get sick outside of getting COVID a couple of times. Outside of that, this recent time's a lot of –

02:32:09 - 02:32:13 | Speaker 1:

I'm tired of getting it out. Kristen, what's going on? Hi.

02:32:13 - 02:32:46 | Speaker 4:

hey mojo what's up guys hey i just had a sorry i just had a comment about the the food issue you know i mean people bend over backwards for an allergy they won't bend over backwards for your dietary choices even if it makes you feel better overall because the host has enough to do with figuring out a menu i mean like you know we live in america unfortunately it's you know hot dogs and hamburgers are what's easy so Kristen you're telling me right

02:32:46 - 02:32:56 | Speaker 2:

you throw this barbecue we're literally blood relatives you're already at the store you're purchasing things anyway you can't grab a salmon for me

02:32:56 - 02:32:59 | Speaker 4:

hey man salmon's expensive

02:32:59 - 02:33:13 | Speaker 3:

okay Kristen what about this when I was doing it and then I had people over at my house it was expected that I cooked them meat options because nobody wanted to eat the non-meat options I was preparing.

02:33:15 - 02:33:19 | Speaker 4:

Nah, I'm not done with that. I mean, like, you know, you either...

02:33:19 - 02:33:24 | Speaker 1:

You there? I think she went under a bridge.

02:33:24 - 02:33:26 | Speaker 3:

No, it was a cow that took her out.

02:33:26 - 02:33:43 | Speaker 1:

Oh, there she is. She's back. You're back. Okay, so Kristen, you bring up a very interesting point. It is their choice, but what if their choice, though, is making them feel healthier. Like Kevin said, he could see better because of it.

02:33:44 - 02:33:52 | Speaker 4:

All right, well, you know, okay, that's, all right. I'll go with that, but then you've got to lead with that. You've got to lead with my body.

02:33:52 - 02:34:08 | Speaker 1:

Maybe Kevin needs to tell his brother you're saying, or cousin, or who is this again? He's my cousin, but he's basically my brother. You need to tell, what's his name? Gerard. Gerard needs to think that this is Kevin's food allergy, so I'm allergic to it, right? Yeah. And that might be the same.

02:34:08 - 02:34:12 | Speaker 2:

Whatever he needs to believe. I don't care. Just have the fish there so I don't have to bring it.

02:34:13 - 02:34:32 | Speaker 4:

I mean, because, I mean, I'm not saying you're this person, but you don't want to be the person that's, like, everybody, you know. Difficult. Yeah, you know, because then it ruins the whole vibe. And people are like, oh, shoot, we don't want you to get sick. We don't want your eyesight to, you know, whatever.

02:34:32 - 02:34:47 | Speaker 1:

Listen, but also I will say this. There is nothing more un-American than salmon patties on a barbecue on 4th of July. I'm sorry. I got a problem with that. Casey, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning.

02:34:48 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Kev. Just wanted to let you know you're not alone. I've been a vegetarian for about seven years. And now that it's summertime and barbecue season, I have to bring my own fake meat substitutes to every barbecue.

02:35:00 - 02:35:09 | Speaker 1:

Do you feel like you have to or you should to, if you're going to a family's house, and like you say, you've been doing it for so long, they know what it is. Why are we having to supply our own meals?

02:35:10 - 02:35:27 | Speaker 3:

And you know what's funny is my family specifically has gotten used to it, but once I started dating my boyfriend, his family was like, no, you have to bring your own because they weren't used to it yet. And now that we've been together for like six years, they're finally starting to bring those, like not make me provide it.

02:35:27 - 02:35:32 | Speaker 1:

You know what's funny? They think you're the difficult girlfriend The girlfriend they probably call you Don't they

02:35:32 - 02:35:39 | Speaker 3:

I know but actually he just proposed to me So Did he propose to you

02:35:39 - 02:35:42 | Speaker 1:

With a vegan Ring

02:35:42 - 02:35:46 | Speaker 3:

No but I would be interested To see what that looks like

02:35:46 - 02:35:50 | Speaker 1:

I would like to see one of those too Molly what's going on

02:35:50 - 02:35:52 | Speaker 4:

Welcome Kev

02:35:52 - 02:35:53 | Speaker 1:

What's up Molly

02:35:53 - 02:36:13 | Speaker 4:

hey um so i actually have had dietary issues since i was like 12 i can't have any cow products and i cannot have like any dairy so it's awful so i get it um every time i have to go anywhere i feel like i have to bring my own stuff because it's so expensive i feel bad if anybody else buys

02:36:13 - 02:36:20 | Speaker 1:

it for me what happens to you if you have anything that is has meat um i actually get severely sick

02:36:20 - 02:36:24 | Speaker 4:

and I have, like, really bad acid reflux. It ended me in the hospital a couple of times.

02:36:24 - 02:36:25 | Speaker 1:

Oh, wow.

02:36:26 - 02:36:29 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I just worked out actually for it, so it's rough.

02:36:29 - 02:36:42 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I had a gluten attack last night that did not do me over good, and so I get it. You know, I used to come down on people for their dietary stuff until I just, you know, had to spend a night on a toilet. You know what I mean?

02:36:43 - 02:36:47 | Speaker 4:

Uh-huh, 100%. You don't realize it until it happens to you, and you're just like, oh, crap.

02:36:47 - 02:36:50 | Speaker 1:

Literally, right? Lupe, what's happening?

02:36:51 - 02:36:53 | Speaker 2:

Hi. Welcome, Taz.

02:36:53 - 02:36:54 | Speaker 1:

Thanks, Lupe.

02:36:55 - 02:37:12 | Speaker 2:

Well, my son's actually allergic to corn syrup, so a lot of the foods, a lot of barbecue, I have to bring in his food because if not, he gets severely sick and including he actually goes into a shock. Have you thought about returning the kit?

02:37:14 - 02:37:16 | Speaker 4:

No, he's wonderful. I can't do that.

02:37:16 - 02:37:23 | Speaker 1:

But corn syrup's in pretty much everything. I bet you it's got to be tough on Halloween, right, with candy and stuff?

02:37:23 - 02:37:53 | Speaker 2:

Yes. We do switch witch a lot of the time for Halloween. What's that? So it's basically where you go trick-or-treating, and the kid still gets to enjoy that part of trick-or-treating. But a witch comes, a nice witch comes, and she switches the candy that he can have or, like, a toy instead of the candy. So basically what we do is that we send it overseas. So she writes a letter. We send it overseas to the military.

02:37:53 - 02:37:58 | Speaker 1:

Is the witch really a nice witch or does sometimes that witch sometimes become a bitch?

02:38:01 - 02:38:02 | Speaker 2:

It's so and so. It depends on the day.

02:38:04 - 02:40:38 | Speaker 1:

Hey, thanks for the call, Lupe. We appreciate you. Thank you. All right, Mojo on the Morning Show. Want to give away one last opportunity for you to win tickets to our Daddy Daughter Dance. There are tickets that you can win from us for free, or you can buy VIP tickets to this with the proceeds going to Mojo on the Morning's Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish for only $25 a piece. So if you do call now and don't get in by free, then go to mojoonthemorning.com and you can buy tickets for the Daddy Daughter Dance June 23rd, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Last opportunity to get in for today and then we'll have one or a couple tomorrow on Friday. We are working tomorrow, so we're working Memorial Day Friday. All right, time now for the top trending stories of the day. Like we said, Shannon and Mike are doing some kids stuff. They left early during the show to tend to their children's. This one would have been a good one for Shannon because she does this all the time. But we'll have to remind her tomorrow about this. Get ready to pay for online returns. Yes, stores are now going to be charging you to return things. The average cost of processing a return of a $100 e-commerce order is $26.50. So this means that companies could boost profits as much as 25% if they can cut returns in half. So now they're talking about giving you either an incentive. for maybe going into the in-store instead of going to the UPS store or going to mailboxes or et cetera or the FedEx or whatever. Or just keeping the item. They want you to not return it. They're really getting tired of that. I love, by the way, there's a couple of stores that I've ordered things from or online stores that I've ordered things from that I love the fact that I can go to the FedEx store and they do the happy returns And you basically They just throw it in a bag And boom And it's like The moment it happens And they scan it And do everything I get my money back I've had to make like

02:40:38 - 02:40:46 | Speaker 4:

Three big returns In the past two weeks And it is the most Annoying process in the world So are they going to Refund you when you Don't have to return it Or just no refunds

02:40:46 - 02:40:52 | Speaker 1:

No What they're going to Start doing is Charging you more And then maybe Giving you points Towards next purchases

02:40:52 - 02:40:55 | Speaker 4:

No I'll stop shopping At your store Absolutely not

02:40:55 - 02:41:04 | Speaker 2:

I feel like refunds Especially like During the summer time Where people are Switching out their wardrobes have taken an increase. I've seen a lot of people do the what I bought versus what I got type of thing.

02:41:04 - 02:41:05 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:41:05 - 02:42:08 | Speaker 1:

Well, the problem is, too, is that when you buy it online, you order like five sizes because you want to see if you can fit into it, right? Correct. Diners hate QR code menus. I agree. And we talked about the fact that there are scammers out there that are using those QR codes as a way to steal your information. But a study that was just done found that 75% of people say that QR codes need to go away. Something that came up, obviously, during COVID where they started doing that. The big thing to lose weight was to do Ozempic or Wagovi, Mangiorno. Well, there is a bad news for these people that are losing weight this way. And it's kind of a gross thing. 30% of Wagovi users say that they're suffering from diarrhea. 24% are experiencing constipation. They're saying in some cases People actually Don't know that their diarrhea Is about to come on And they'll wake up in the morning And they've got duty in their bed

02:42:08 - 02:42:11 | Speaker 4:

You know what?

02:42:12 - 02:42:12 | Speaker 1:

That's happened once

02:42:12 - 02:42:18 | Speaker 4:

That's a risk I'm willing to take You know what?

02:42:18 - 02:42:21 | Speaker 1:

If I had to poop the bed a few times To lose 20, 30 pounds

02:42:21 - 02:42:28 | Speaker 3:

They're not losing 20 or 30 People on this are losing like 100 pounds You best believe I'd poop to bed to lose 100 pounds

02:42:28 - 02:42:43 | Speaker 1:

Speaking of losing weight They say looking at food photos online Make curb overeating New research found that looking at food Actually satisfies our cravings And make them diminish I don't buy this

02:42:43 - 02:42:44 | Speaker 3:

No way

02:42:44 - 02:42:54 | Speaker 1:

I see commercials on TV for Burger King And all I want is a Whopper You know I mean do you think that like a food picture Actually does it for you No that's when I pull up DoorDash

02:42:54 - 02:42:55 | Speaker 4:

And start ordering

02:42:55 - 02:43:56 | Speaker 1:

They say that there's some kind of a psychological thing that goes through your head where the different food colors, the colors of the food actually will satisfy your craving for having something to eat. And by just looking at it, you're okay. the researchers did this with candies and they found that in variety of cases m&ms and the different colors can't have candies actually helped them with that interesting yeah that is pretty wild um i got a couple of stories here about uh people in the office and i wonder if this is something i should bring up tomorrow on the air when everybody's here but a new study finds that most work colleagues lie about their weekends for sure they studied 2 000 people and they found that we sometimes invent or over exaggerate how good our weekends are by lying about stories of things that we did over the weekend i used to just not tell the truth really

02:43:56 - 02:44:01 | Speaker 2:

yeah what would you just you don't need to know what i'm doing when i'm not at work the study

02:44:01 - 02:44:14 | Speaker 1:

found that most commonly used excuses were pretending to have gone out to a bar with friends, visiting an expensive restaurant, or joining a gym or even going to a gym.

02:44:14 - 02:44:16 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah, I'll lie about that.

02:44:16 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 1:

Those were the most lied about items that people would say that they lied about. We should actually try this and everybody tell us what you did over the weekend, but then we had the BS meter on and we'll come back from our Memorial Day weekend going, There is no way that you did all that stuff. Actually, that would be kind of a funny thing. That would be that would actually be kind of a funny thing to do with Mike and and Shannon because they're not here right now. Their first two stories that they tell Memorial Day Monday or Tuesday. We'll we'll figure it out because we're going to be off on Monday. And date night equals a free meal. Women are holding to the traditional beliefs that the gender roles call for men to buy.

02:45:00 - 02:45:34 | Speaker 3:

dinners and more women are doing foodie calls not booty calls they're actually using the opportunity to get a free meal out of the deal and they're going out somewhere nice with a guy just for the meal has anybody ever done that before have you ever taken a date just to go get yourself a nice meal or maybe cocktails absolutely it's like a week ago with steve tomorrow and he took you to the fancy place too with the one with like the five forks and

02:45:34 - 02:45:40 | Speaker 1:

20 spoons yeah he offered to move closer to toledo where i am and i went no no i'm okay we'll go

02:45:40 - 02:45:50 | Speaker 3:

there we'll go there sounds good um anna it is our mojo in the morning daddy daughter dance and guess what you're bringing your dad congratulations to you

02:45:50 - 02:45:54 | Speaker 4:

I'm excited, I can't wait

02:45:54 - 02:45:57 | Speaker 3:

We're excited for you And what's dad's name?

02:45:58 - 02:45:59 | Speaker 4:

Dad's name is Bill

02:45:59 - 02:46:04 | Speaker 3:

Bill, you're coming to this thing Is dad the type of guy that would like to go out And dance with you and have fun?

02:46:05 - 02:46:14 | Speaker 4:

Well, you know what? My dad is 72 And he's never really had that opportunity So that's what this is going to be This is going to be his night to get out and get wild

02:46:14 - 02:46:22 | Speaker 3:

Wow, you know what? Tell him that you're taking him to Olga's And then just do a reverse turn and take him to the daddy-daughter dance.

02:46:23 - 02:46:26 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I think he's like that. He's going to have a ball.

02:46:26 - 02:46:39 | Speaker 3:

I want to see 72-year-olds dress like 72-year-olds, too. I know people like to wear their finest, but I want Dad to actually put on, like, 72-year-old, you know, suspenders and kind of showing up. What's up, Courtney? You're going to bring your dad. How old are you, Courtney?

02:46:41 - 02:46:42 | Speaker 5:

Yay. I'm 30.

02:46:43 - 02:46:56 | Speaker 3:

Nice. Oh, I don't know why I laughed. I was supposed to be that. You're 30 years old, and what's your dad's name? Michael. Michael is coming to this thing. Dad is a pretty cool guy. Is he somebody fun like Scott Mick, Megan's dad?

02:46:59 - 02:47:09 | Speaker 5:

He is. Unfortunately, we haven't had like a very super awesome relationship, so we never had a chance to do a daddy dance before, so I'm super excited.

02:47:09 - 02:47:12 | Speaker 3:

Has it gotten better, though, and that's why you're willing to do this?

02:47:13 - 02:47:14 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah, definitely.

02:47:14 - 02:47:15 | Speaker 3:

What changed?

02:47:15 - 02:47:26 | Speaker 5:

uh in the nicest way possible his maturity level you know what good that's good and

02:47:26 - 02:47:37 | Speaker 3:

sometimes it's like crisis in life midlife crisis some people call it but sometimes you just don't know what your priority is and finally he came around and he's prioritizing his family huh

02:47:37 - 02:47:45 | Speaker 5:

yeah and i i think a lot of it too is that i'm a parent now so i kind of can show more grace

02:47:45 - 02:47:50 | Speaker 3:

and he has grandbabies that he wants to make sure that are in his life.

02:47:51 - 02:47:52 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, absolutely.

02:47:52 - 02:48:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's a big one. There's a lot of people that can relate to what you just said, Courtney, and we're looking forward for you and your dad to come to our daddy-daughter dance.

02:48:01 - 02:48:02 | Speaker 5:

Thank you. Thank you so much.

02:48:03 - 02:48:27 | Speaker 3:

Americans are worried about public safety. No one should live in fear of gun violence at home, at school, or anywhere in our lives.
