00:02:20 - 00:02:21 | Speaker 3:

You're a doo-doo hat.

00:02:24 - 00:02:27 | Unknown:

It's showtime!

00:02:54 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 3:

good morning welcome to the mojo in the morning show we have taylor swift tickets And I am going to do this Even though my boss does not like it We will Play two Taylor Swift songs Back to back this morning And give away Taylor Swift tickets Now I will give you this Since you're waking up early with us this morning It will happen Before 9 o'clock Okay So before 9 o'clock So I'm going to just give you this as a word of warning. You don't want to, like, go away and say, oh, I'll listen to the podcast later today. Because guess what? The downfall to just being a Mojo in the Morning casual podcast listener is that you don't get to do the live contest that we're doing. So this might be one of those days where you have us with your, you know, iHeartRadio app on, listening to the show. And then when you hear the Taylor Swift, or actually, I know this is going to sound crazy to say this. I'm, like, telling you basically not to listen. But if you have the iHeartRadio app on, there's a very good chance that you can even, if you're in a meeting, have the volume down and you can look to see what songs we play. Because if you're listening to us, especially those that listen to us on Channel 955 in Detroit on the app, you can actually see that it will say, oh, that's a Taylor Swift song. So it'll actually come up sometimes. And I'm not saying they're guaranteed to do this because sometimes it's a little bit of a delay on when the thing pops up there. But I have noticed a few people that have been doing that and they've been just looking for the flow of. When these Taylor Swift songs are playing. But I would suggest that you do not go anywhere between now and 8 o'clock for a chance to win tickets. All right, it is Mojo in the morning. Oh, God, this is like the worst time for this to happen. I don't, you know what? I mean, I guess I could throw this out there and maybe just see if there's anybody else that can tell us if you've ever had like a really bad timing on this. What's the worst time to get sick? because I'm starting to feel like crap right now. And I'm starting to think that the worst time to get sick is the week of Taylor Swift. We have so much stuff going on. We have so much crazy, you know, promotions that we got going on. And then yesterday I got home and I was like, oh man, I don't feel great. So I, you know, but it's Monday. Mondays I always just like sleep the entire day. I don't usually, you know, I'll come home

00:05:53 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 3:

and the problem is I'm up all weekend and doing all kinds of stuff. And then I'll just lay down and take a nap. And then I woke up from my nap and I was like groggy and not feeling great. And I said, Chelsea, I don't feel really great. She actually slept in another room. She slept down in our spare basement bedroom. So she went downstairs yesterday because she's like, I don't need to get sick right now. And I feel better this morning after sleeping a bunch, but I still feel a little groggy. I'm going to say something. Yeah.

00:06:23 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 1:

You sound like you're getting sick.

00:06:24 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 3:

I sound like I'm getting sick?

00:06:26 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 1:

You sound kind of like you're starting a congestion. I know, I do have that.

00:06:30 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 3:

I know. I thought about calling Dr. Warner up this morning, because I know you can call him anytime, but it's always, take Allegra.

00:06:39 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 1:

He does. He is. Allegra is like the Windex of my big fat Greek wedding to Dr. Warner. If you've seen that movie, you know what I'm talking about. It cures everything. Take Allegra.

00:06:49 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:06:49 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 1:

We'll get you some Allegra.

00:06:50 - 00:06:55 | Speaker 2:

He does. I think the bigger thing there, Shannon, is who hasn't seen that movie? Yeah, I agree with you.

00:06:55 - 00:06:56 | Unknown:

I haven't.

00:06:56 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 2:

You've never seen that movie? The best. Can you leave the show right now, go watch it, and then come back at 8 a.m. and give us a report? I feel like we could have a full podcast of things I probably haven't seen.

00:07:06 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 3:

Or we could do a podcast of things that Megan hasn't seen that you've seen, because I'm sure there's got to be some movies, right?

00:07:11 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 1:

Probably not. The amount of bottled water you have next to you is very smart, also very impressive.

00:07:17 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 3:

Yes, well, that is a normal morning for me. I'm a camel, and I usually drink that much and keep it until the end of the show and then go to the bathroom after the show is over with. Chels gave me these things, too. I took one of them this morning. I don't even know what the hell this thing is. She says, put this underneath your tongue. I think you're trying to kill me. It's something here, bioiron or something like that. I don't know what it is.

00:07:39 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 1:

All right, whatever it takes.

00:07:40 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 3:

But I put it under my tongue, and it actually kind of was tasty. Do you ever do, what's the things that you put in your water?

00:07:49 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 1:

like emergency emergency it was invented by like a school teacher or something like that or airborne

00:07:53 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 3:

i the funny thing is i i used to like those better than crystal light like crystal light to me was like always yucky yeah i never liked crystal light and then any other the other stuff like that you put in your waters and stuff but i was like oh the emergency is good and i took them so much that i

00:08:07 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 1:

ended up getting diarrhea oh yeah and it was a bad deal by the time you decide oh i need i should probably start taking that it's always too late yeah it never works for me remember when i i i got super super sick with the flu or something right before i was supposed to go on that trip i do that trip with lucy every year the mommy daughter trip like oh that's right i was i didn't even know if i was gonna be able to get on that plane it never fails right before a big trip something busy a big event you start feeling so crummy i mean my first week here i had tonsillitis that's right i forgot

00:08:37 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 3:

about that talk about bad timing exactly um i just googled this is actually pretty funny i just Googled, what's the worst time to get sick? Alright, and the thing that came up for the answer on this one, you ready for this? Was from a survey on the family feud. Alright, here we go. We love our Steve Harvey. Top six answers are on the board. Let's do Shannon versus Megan on this one. Top six answers on the board. You gotta scream your name out to go first. Shannon. No, wait, I gotta give you the question. I haven't done the question yet. This is Steve Harvey. Top six answers on the board. When is the worst time to get sick?

00:09:18 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 1:

Shannon.

00:09:19 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 3:

Shannon. Megan's not even playing. She's just sitting there.

00:09:22 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 1:

Before your wedding.

00:09:24 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 3:

You say before your wedding? Before set. What the heck? Wait, she's standing at the podium right now, Mike. You can't just scream from the crowd there. Sorry, I got excited. Which team are you on, by the way? Are you on Team Shannon family or are you on Team Megan's family? Because you've got to go on one family. Kev's got to go on the other. I think I would probably be in Megan's family. All right, so you're on Megan's family, yes, because of your podcast. Kev, you want to be in my family? Of course. That's the wrong answer. Megan, you got a chance to steal.

00:09:52 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to say before a holiday. Do I have to be more specific than that?

00:09:57 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 3:

Yes, yes, yes. You got it. That is.

00:10:00 - 00:10:01 | Speaker 4:

That's the number three answer that's on the board.

00:10:01 - 00:10:08 | Speaker 1:

Number three answer is on the board. Mike, you got a chance to play or pass. What do you guys want to do, Megan and Mike? What should we do? What should we do?

00:10:08 - 00:10:09 | Speaker 4:

I think we should play.

00:10:09 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 1:

You want to play? All right, let's play. All right, they're going to play. We're going to play. We're going to play. We're going to play. All right, Mike, we got five more answers on the board. What do you got? Before sex. Before sex. No. Three buzzers and you're done. Megan?

00:10:24 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 4:

Okay, I'm going to say before. Ooh, before, I think Kev falls into this, before you start a new job.

00:10:34 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 1:

Before you start a new job. By the way, how you doing? Am I supposed to flirt with you? Like, does Steve Harvey flirt with the people that are...

00:10:40 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 4:

No, Steve Harvey doesn't, but who is the guy who used to kiss every contestant?

00:10:43 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 1:

Oh, God, what was the guy's name? It was like the 70s. Richard Dawson. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Richard Dawson. Is it, is, okay, here we go. Let's see. We'll be your second buzzer if you don't get this one. And by the way, the Shannon family, you got a chance to steal if she gets three buzzers.

00:10:57 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 2:

We're pointing like they do on the show. We got it, we got it, we got it, we got this, Kevin.

00:11:01 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 1:

Is it, is it, what did you say again? What was your answer?

00:11:05 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 4:

When you start a new job.

00:11:06 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 1:

Before you start a new job? No. Oh, no. One more buzzer, Mike, and we're going to go over to Shannon's team. Okay.

00:11:16 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 2:

Is it before a date?

00:11:19 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 1:

Before a date.

00:11:20 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 4:

Good answer, good answer, good answer. Nope, nope, we still got this.

00:11:24 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 1:

I bet you made a couple of dates get sick, didn't you, huh?

00:11:27 - 00:11:28 | Speaker 2:

I mean, yeah.

00:11:29 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 1:

Thank you, Steve. If it's up there, you guys are still playing. If not, Shannon family's got a chance to steal. When is the worst time to get sick? Is it before you get a date? No. All right, here we go, Shannon's family. Here we go, Shannon's family. Shannon's family.

00:11:46 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 3:

Come on, Kev. You got this. You got this.

00:11:48 - 00:11:50 | Speaker 1:

All right, come on. All right. Come on, Kev. All right, you guys got a chance to steal.

00:11:50 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 3:

We love you, Steve.

00:11:52 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. I appreciate that. What do you love the most about me? Is it my mustache?

00:11:55 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 3:

No, I love the way you dress. Thank you

00:11:59 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 1:

I am a schnazzy dresser I do the best Windsor knot ever Alright I need an answer from you guys When is the worst time To get sick

00:12:08 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 2:

00:12:27 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 4:

All right, hold on, hold on Let's open them up

00:12:34 - 00:12:48 | Speaker 1:

Let's open them up, let's open them up Number six Summer Survey says Number Five Your birthday

00:12:48 - 00:12:51 | Speaker 2:

That's a party That's a party Birthday party

00:12:51 - 00:13:08 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that is true, I could have given it to you I'm sorry, it's technicality, I just started hosting here Nope, it wasn't on the board. Number four, your wedding day. Number three, a holiday.

00:13:10 - 00:13:12 | Speaker 4:

She had said wedding. Okay, whatever.

00:13:12 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah, she got it. You already got that one. That was already open. You didn't give it to me. No, I did. No, that's how you guys. You went, rah. No, you got it, and then Megan had a chance to steal, I think. I don't know. I have no idea. I don't know. You're a terrible woman. I'm not feeling good. Are you trying to make me feel worse than I already am right now?

00:13:28 - 00:13:33 | Speaker 4:

This feels like Ms. Universe. I was about to say. Oh, boy.

00:13:33 - 00:13:36 | Speaker 2:

Wrong show, Steve. Nobody hand him any important documents.

00:13:37 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 1:

Number two, Christmas. And number one, a vacation. All right. I could never do the family feud. Although I actually always wanted to be on the family feud.

00:13:49 - 00:13:50 | Speaker 3:

I tried out for it with my family.

00:13:51 - 00:13:51 | Speaker 1:

And what did they say?

00:13:51 - 00:13:59 | Speaker 3:

It was an all-day tryout at Cobo Hall, when it was Cobo Hall, and they said no.

00:13:59 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 1:

We were not funny enough. Do you actually play a round? Yes, you do. You play around.

00:14:03 - 00:14:09 | Speaker 3:

You play around in this big ballroom with, like, 250 other families watching you.

00:14:09 - 00:14:10 | Speaker 1:

Who would be the leader?

00:14:10 - 00:14:11 | Speaker 3:

It's so intimidating.

00:14:11 - 00:14:17 | Speaker 1:

Like, if we were all going to do it together, say we were all going to go together, who's number one on that thing? And it doesn't have to be me, because now it's Mojo in the morning.

00:14:17 - 00:14:18 | Speaker 3:

It's absolutely you.

00:14:19 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 1:

Really? Yeah. That makes sense. Don't they always put the smartest person first, though? I don't think I'm the smartest person for this thing. In the past, by the way, when they do it, they always put the smartest person first, and then the fat aunt is like fourth. She always has the opportunity in there. I hope, by the way, that this thing is just a get over it type of a thing, because I am taking a couple of little, you know, Chelsea has me doing all those, oh, God, what is that, the weird oil scents and things like that? The essential oils. Oh yeah, so I got all that stuff going on And she's got like I'm telling you I think that she's into witchcraft or something So anytime you get sick She'll make you do things

00:15:00 - 00:15:25 | Speaker 2:

Oh, the other night, there was like a full moon, and I go, what is that? I thought for some reason she was pulling a sex toy out, you know, because sometimes they have, you know, you guys use some of those things, like little, you know, and she pulls them out, and she goes, oh, I'm pulling my crystals out. There's like a full moon out. I'm like, when did you get into this stuff? I never thought that you were into that, but now she's kind of got me doing some crazy stuff because she wants me to get better, but what's up, Wendy? How you doing?

00:15:26 - 00:15:27 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. How are you?

00:15:28 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 2:

We're good. What's going on?

00:15:30 - 00:15:33 | Speaker 4:

I think you guys need to make this a regular thing.

00:15:33 - 00:15:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. You think we should play the Family Feud as a regular thing?

00:15:37 - 00:15:41 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, just do, like, one question, I don't know, every, what is today?

00:15:41 - 00:15:46 | Speaker 2:

How about this, though? We only do the question if it's, like, the most inappropriate question ever. What do you think?

00:15:48 - 00:15:49 | Speaker 4:

Either way.

00:15:49 - 00:15:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Like, maybe we should do that. That actually would be kind of fun, like the, I don't know, we'll come up with some kind of a name based on Family Feud.

00:15:58 - 00:16:03 | Speaker 1:

Hear me out. We even do it as, like, an Instagram story post where people can submit their own answers, and we can, like, customize it.

00:16:04 - 00:16:08 | Speaker 2:

Oh, guess who's at the front now? Guess who's going up to the front?

00:16:09 - 00:16:14 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the Morning's Back in the Day. Let's go! Back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:16:14 - 00:16:20 | Speaker 2:

All right, this was the year that Taylor Swift and Harry Styles debuted their relationship.

00:16:20 - 00:16:24 | Speaker 3:

Taylor Swift writes a song, and everyone assumes it's about you, Harry. I mean, does that upset you?

00:16:25 - 00:16:25 | Speaker 5:

No.

00:16:25 - 00:16:26 | Speaker 3:

No.

00:16:26 - 00:16:26 | Speaker 5:

It doesn't upset me.

00:16:26 - 00:16:27 | Speaker 3:

I'd be honored.

00:16:27 - 00:16:33 | Speaker 5:

I think about what it means to me to write a song about somebody else and for someone else to do that.

00:16:33 - 00:16:41 | Speaker 4:

I think it's like flattering, even if the song isn't that flattering. Madonna performed halftime of the Super Bowl this year.

00:16:49 - 00:17:00 | Speaker 2:

And Rihanna had the big song on the radio with Diamonds. You have a chance to win pink tickets now.

00:17:01 - 00:17:07 | Speaker 3:

You talk a big game in the car. Now prove how smart you are. Tell us the year this stuff happened at 844-Mojo-Live.

00:17:07 - 00:17:10 | Speaker 2:

844-665-6548.

00:17:11 - 00:17:14 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the mornings, back in the day. What year was this?

00:17:15 - 00:17:19 | Speaker 2:

Taylor Swift and Harry Styles had a relationship in this year.

00:17:19 - 00:17:23 | Speaker 3:

When Taylor Swift writes a song and everyone assumes it's about you, Harry, I mean, does that upset you?

00:17:24 - 00:17:37 | Speaker 5:

No. No. It doesn't upset me. I'd be honored. I think about what it means to me to write a song about somebody else and for someone else to do that. I think it's like flattering, even if the song isn't that flattering.

00:17:39 - 00:18:16 | Speaker 2:

It's so cool, even just the way he says, flattering. Madonna performed halftime of the Super Bowl, and Rihanna's Diamonds was the big song on this station. Julia, what year was that? 2012. Yes, you got pink tickets. Congratulations to you. This is a good prize for the back in the day. We got tickets for you to see pink at Comerica Park on August the 16th. Tickets are on sale right now at Ticketmaster.com. Congratulations to you.

00:18:16 - 00:18:17 | Speaker 5:

Thank you so much.

00:18:17 - 00:18:31 | Speaker 2:

Thank you so much. Hang on the phone. We'll get you set up with that next hour. Make sure that you're listening for Ed Sheeran Tickets. Plus, sometime before 9, we will do two for Taylor. Two Taylor Swift songs back-to-back to give you a pair of Taylor's.

00:18:31 - 00:18:33 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:18:34 - 00:18:48 | Speaker 2:

Oh, man. It's Mojo in the Morning. I know that it happens all the time. If we stayed on until noon, we'd get all the big breaking stories because it's just after we leave our show that the story ends up breaking.

00:18:49 - 00:19:11 | Speaker 1:

Always. And yesterday, the big breaking dirty was that Taylor Swift is single again. She and Maddie Healy from the 1975 have broken up after just over a month, maybe two months of dating. They've known each other forever since like 2014. But obviously, it's only been official for a very short amount of time. I don't think anybody is very surprised here.

00:19:12 - 00:19:23 | Speaker 2:

My favorite was we posted this breaking news story up on our social media. And a few commenters said, Megan predicted this. And I'm thinking, Megan predicting this? That's like...

00:19:23 - 00:19:24 | Speaker 1:

Everybody predicted this.

00:19:24 - 00:19:29 | Speaker 2:

That's like, yeah, predicting that the, you know, the Lions are not going to win a Super Bowl, you know?

00:19:29 - 00:19:31 | Speaker 1:

Why do you have to downplay it? I was the only one saying it.

00:19:31 - 00:19:32 | Speaker 2:

That is true.

00:19:32 - 00:19:52 | Speaker 1:

That is very true. Well, friends close to the situation say, you know, scheduling an issue, incompatibility an issue. Taylor and Maddie last seen together on May 25th in New York City. The split also coming just a few days after Maddie was spotted smooching a male security guard at one of his shows in Denmark.

00:19:53 - 00:19:55 | Speaker 2:

That was another thing that was posted on her social.

00:19:55 - 00:19:57 | Speaker 1:

I feel like that was a big F you to her.

00:19:57 - 00:20:09 | Speaker 2:

Well, people were like, well, why would she not? He was making out with a guy at his concert. I'm like going, I don't think that that was him making out with a guy because of he was trying to, you know, get with the guy. I think he was doing that for shock value.

00:20:09 - 00:20:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, while we're talking Taylor real quick, she just shared the full track list for her album Speak Now, Taylor's version, which is set to drop on July 7th. Collabs include Paramore's Hayley Williams, got a story about her later on today, and then Fall Out Boy also on there. Former Vice President Mike Pence is now a candidate for president of the United States of America tomorrow. He will launch his campaign in Iowa. His team filed the formal paperwork to enter the race yesterday with the Federal Election Commission. He's been hinting at an entry into the race for a couple of months now with regular visits to Iowa and New Hampshire. That's also kind of a giveaway. The move sets up a showdown between Pence and Donald Trump, whose followers consider Pence a traitor because, remember, he opted not to try to block certification of the 2020 election results.

00:20:58 - 00:21:01 | Speaker 2:

How many people are going to be running for president? It's like, man. Yeah.

00:21:01 - 00:21:08 | Speaker 3:

Well, right now it's DeSantis, Trump, Pence are the big ones, you know, in the Republican side of that race.

00:21:08 - 00:21:16 | Speaker 2:

My favorite is when these guys do this thing, there has to be some financial gain on their parts where they get to keep the money that they raise or something.

00:21:16 - 00:21:19 | Speaker 3:

Or why would you put yourself through that? I don't know.

00:21:19 - 00:21:36 | Speaker 2:

I've never looked at what that is. It's like they, I think, no, I think they have to raise like a certain amount of money, and then if they don't spend it all, they must be able to put it in their pocket or something. There must be some kind of a thing. Because why would somebody that knows for a fact they're not going to ever be the president of the United States just run for president of the United States?

00:21:36 - 00:21:37 | Speaker 1:

Publicity.

00:21:37 - 00:21:37 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:21:37 - 00:21:41 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, Dr. Cornel West announced that he was running yesterday, too, for the independent party.

00:21:41 - 00:21:41 | Speaker 2:

Really?

00:21:42 - 00:21:42 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:21:42 - 00:21:46 | Speaker 2:

I didn't know this sounds bad, but I probably should know. Explain.

00:21:47 - 00:21:48 | Speaker 1:

Dr. Cornel West?

00:21:48 - 00:21:48 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

00:21:48 - 00:21:54 | Speaker 1:

He's a Harvard professor. He's an activist. He showed on Bill Maher. He's a great guy.

00:21:54 - 00:22:11 | Speaker 2:

You are going to now go to the front. I made it? You are the family food guy. Megan, I'm sorry. I have no idea. By the way, Drake. No, no, no. Megan did get the Taylor Swift breaking up with this Maddie guy. I don't want to be first as long as I'm in the final two. We're putting this smart. That last two is where I want to be.

00:22:11 - 00:22:13 | Speaker 3:

Why are you poking me so much today?

00:22:13 - 00:22:20 | Speaker 2:

No, I'm not poking you. We're putting the smartest person on the show up at the front of the line when we do the family feud. Well, we all know that's not me. It is you.

00:22:20 - 00:23:49 | Speaker 3:

Put me in the back. You got a prediction right. Former Jackass star Bam Margera has been placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold. law enforcement sources telling me the LAPD tracked down BAM on Sunday evening. They tracked his phone, eventually found him at a restaurant. They found his speech erratic. His behavior was enough reason to call in a psychiatric evaluation team. I mean, his latest spiral really started last week when he threatened to smoke crack until he died if he didn't get to see his little boy. Just such a sad situation. So he was taken to a mental health facility where by law, he can be held for up to 72 hours. Truly, I'm not quite sure if he's still there getting treatment, but I do know he was admitted. And the internet is throwing shade at a groom after a TikTok showed him texting somebody as he walked down the aisle with his bride after saying, I do. I now pronounce you man and wife. They kissed each other. They're walking back in front of their friends and family. And he pulls out his cell phone and starts texting somebody as his bride is greeting people on both sides of the aisle. Now, once outside, it seems like the bride confronts her new husband about his phone. He did not say, I'm sorry. He just looked very frustrated with what happened. The bride then dropped the issue and faked a smile, continued to try to look happy, but many people had something to say about the now deleted video. Somebody on Twitter said this marriage is over. Another

00:23:49 - 00:24:23 | Speaker 2:

said please get an annulment now i love that i love my niece uh got married to a really awesome guy actually a former michigan football player and um when they got married he she said something to him like hey can you make a call and he goes i didn't bring my phone and she said you didn't bring your phone with you and he goes no it's my wedding day why would i need my phone everybody i was wanting to be with is going to be with me today and i was like and then i thought to myself Oh God, I'd probably bring my phone And I'd probably bring like one of those Mophie chargers

00:24:23 - 00:24:35 | Speaker 3:

00:24:49 - 00:24:51 | Speaker 3:

Oh my gosh, that's right. I forgot about it.

00:24:51 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 2:

By the way, people, I have to tell you guys, you guys have to understand. Karen, we love you. You brought us some laughs yesterday. I know that.

00:25:00 - 00:25:21 | Speaker 1:

People came down on you and stuff. But I love that when you call it your prize. Because to me, it would be like going on to the Price is Right. And when they open up the door and they say, we got a washer and dryer set. And you're like, no, I want a new car. I mean, honestly, call your shot. Say, I want it. Close the curtain. Do this again.

00:25:22 - 00:25:29 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the Mornings 5 at 6.55. 5 at 6.55. Yo, 5 at 6.55.

00:25:29 - 00:25:49 | Speaker 1:

So I have to say this. I have to say to both Carrie and Challenger Chris, okay, the prize is the prize today, all right? I just have to let you guys know that, all right, guys? Okay. All right, just so you know. We're both of you, and obviously Carrie was listening. I was going to say, were both of you listening? Yes, Carrie was listening. She was here yesterday. Chrissy, were you listening yesterday?

00:25:51 - 00:25:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I was absolutely listening. It was hilarious. I've never heard someone demand it. And she was genuinely mad.

00:25:59 - 00:26:05 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but you know what? I love it because, honestly, I don't speak up enough for myself. I need to do that more often.

00:26:05 - 00:26:10 | Speaker 2:

That's why people were kind of bowing down to her, saying she knew what she wanted or didn't want.

00:26:10 - 00:26:11 | Speaker 1:

All right.

00:26:11 - 00:26:13 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but it's a free prize. Exactly.

00:26:14 - 00:26:53 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Here's what we got to do. We got to have her. I think she should come back sometime and play the week that we do dinner at Gift Shirt Advocates. We got to make sure that she's on the list of challengers. Five questions, guys, that we're going to ask. Carrie's going for her 12th in a row. Carrie, I'm going to lock you up in a soundproof area. Good luck to you. Good luck to you, Chris, the challenger. Chris is from Berkeley. Chris is an English and video studies teacher at Rochester High School. Whoa. Chris, what do the kids at Rochester High School know you as? Oh, Mr. Geyer. Hey, what's up, Mr. Geyer? Are you done with school for the year?

00:26:54 - 00:26:59 | Speaker 2:

We finish on Friday. So emotionally, I've been done for a while.

00:27:01 - 00:27:23 | Speaker 1:

I love this guy. Checked out weeks ago. All right, here we go, Chris. Question number one. Former Vice President Mike Pence just announced that he will be running for president in 2024. Which president did he serve under? Donald Trump. Question number two. Taylor Swift and Matt, Mattie Healy have broken up after about a month of dating. What band is Mattie the front man of?

00:27:24 - 00:27:25 | Speaker 2:

The 1975.

00:27:26 - 00:27:53 | Speaker 1:

Question number three. Former MTV star Bam Margera has been placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold. Which MTV show did he star? Oh, that was Jackass. Question number four. Chrissy Teigen took to social media to explain why she thought she had an identical twin for about 24 hours. What musician is Chrissy married to?

00:27:54 - 00:27:55 | Speaker 2:

John Legend.

00:27:55 - 00:28:10 | Speaker 1:

And question number five. Kim Kardashian swears that she really can cook after her youngest daughter calls her out for having a chef. What's her youngest daughter's name?

00:28:13 - 00:28:17 | Speaker 2:

I knew there would be a question. Could you repeat that again? Kim Kardashian.

00:28:17 - 00:28:26 | Speaker 1:

Kim Kardashian swears that she can cook even though her youngest daughter called her out for having a chef. What's her youngest daughter's name? Three seconds.

00:28:27 - 00:28:29 | Speaker 2:

Something weird. I'll say north, like northwest.

00:28:29 - 00:28:32 | Speaker 1:

Let's bring the champ back from a soundproof area.

00:28:32 - 00:28:36 | Speaker 2:

Pretty good. Chris got four out of five correct. Wow.

00:28:36 - 00:28:52 | Speaker 1:

Mr. G? Almost perfect. Almost perfect. Here we go, Carrie. You got to be almost perfect or perfect to win. Question number one. Former Vice President Mike Pence just announced that he will be running for president in 2024. Which president did he serve under?

00:28:54 - 00:28:55 | Speaker 2:

Donald Trump. Yes. One to one.

00:28:56 - 00:29:04 | Speaker 1:

Question number two. Taylor Swift and Maddie Healy have broken up after about a month of dating. What band is Maddie the front man of?

00:29:05 - 00:29:08 | Speaker 2:

On 1975. Yes. Three to two.

00:29:08 - 00:29:22 | Speaker 1:

Question number three. By the way, it is kind of cool, isn't it, that a teacher knows the answer to that? I don't think my teachers knew the answers to any of these questions, let alone Mr. Chris over here, who, by the way, Carrie, you didn't hear this. He's a teacher at Rochester High School.

00:29:23 - 00:29:24 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for your service.

00:29:24 - 00:29:43 | Speaker 1:

Yes, and we are already getting text messages and messages from your students right now rooting for you. Carrie, here we go. Question number three. Former MTV star Bam Margera was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold. On which MTV show did he star?

00:29:44 - 00:29:46 | Speaker 2:

Jackass. Yes. Yes, three to three.

00:29:46 - 00:30:00 | Speaker 1:

Question number three. She's going to have to miss these two to make you the winner, Chris, if she gets at least one of them right. She's back tomorrow for 13. Chrissy Teigen took to social media to explain why she thought she had an identical twin for about 24 hours.

00:30:00 - 00:30:02 | Speaker 2:

What musician is Chrissy married to?

00:30:03 - 00:30:05 | Speaker 1:

John Legend. Yes. Four to four.

00:30:06 - 00:30:43 | Speaker 2:

And question number five, the only one that Mr. Chris missed, Kim Kardashian swears that she is a good cook after her youngest daughter called her out for having a chef. What's her youngest daughter's name? Chicago. Yeah, there you go. Five to four. Nice. What a game. Congratulations. I think that though that Chris you were fun I'm really like Wanting to know what you're like in class Like I would love to take a class from you

00:30:43 - 00:30:48 | Speaker 1:

I'm pretty much like this This is me I'm like this all the time

00:30:48 - 00:30:52 | Speaker 2:

What do you do in the summertime Do you also teach or do you take on something else

00:30:52 - 00:31:04 | Speaker 1:

Well this year I decided I would finally do something in the summer other than lay around the house because that tends to anger people. So I got a job of Comerica as an usher. Did you really? Oh, that's so fine.

00:31:05 - 00:31:08 | Speaker 2:

So what section can we see you in if we come down to a Tigers game?

00:31:09 - 00:31:16 | Speaker 1:

Well, I'm brand new, so they flip me around. You know, I've been in a different section every time so far. You know what you need to do?

00:31:16 - 00:31:24 | Speaker 2:

You need to give Lydia your number and then when we come down for a game or a concert or something, we'll text you and say, hey, where you at? We'll come by and say hi.

00:31:24 - 00:31:26 | Speaker 1:

That would be awesome. I would love that.

00:31:26 - 00:31:44 | Speaker 2:

We have a parting gift for you. I don't know if you would like this, but we're going to set you up with some movie passes to see The Flash before it hits theaters. It enters theaters on June the 16th. You will see it on June the 23rd at the Imagine Royal Oak. Congratulations to you.

00:31:45 - 00:31:52 | Speaker 1:

June 23rd. Sounds great. Have a great time. Hold on one second. It's Mojo in the mornings. Five is 6.55. Five, five, five.

00:31:52 - 00:32:06 | Speaker 2:

Did I say June 23rd? It's June 13th is when you'll see it. So June 16th, it comes out in theaters. All right, it is Mojo in the morning show. Megan, you have a doctor's appointment today, and you told us that you had to get out of here for a doctor's appointment. And I'm wondering, is everything okay?

00:32:06 - 00:32:28 | Speaker 3:

No. Well, yes and no. I mean, the no is I spilled my breakfast all over myself, so I really am going to look an even hotter mess than I normally would at the doctor. And I'm already so stressed out about it that I'm really looking for any reason to cancel this appointment. Oh, is it kind of? Yes, and here's the thing. Are you wearing new underwear? Freshie underwear?

00:32:28 - 00:32:30 | Unknown:

Absolutely not.

00:32:30 - 00:34:15 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? I've done such poor planning for this. The biggest thing I kept telling myself last night was, you have to wash your hair. You have to go and wash your hair, girl. You've got to get ready. I don't know what it is about going to the gyno, but it is absolutely the most stressful doctor's appointment you can absolutely make, and I'm going to be real honest. I have not been in a long time, and I am really really not looking forward to it because I absolutely know and I'd like to ask doctors and nurses why you do this but y'all are the shame parade and you will bring so much shame to a patient it's so just unnerving to walk into a doctor's office when you haven't been in a while because I know I'm gonna get scolded uh talk to reprimand whatever it is and I have so much dread going into this appointment it's not even funny now before you ask me megan you should be really proud of yourself you're looking to take care of yourself you're making this appointment after a long time yeah absolutely not i made this appointment for selfish reasons a couple of days ago i told you guys i'm going on a family vacation not to be tmi but to be tmi i'm only going to the gyno to get on birth control so that my vacation isn't ruined and i think we all know what's going on but the only reason i made this appointment was for my vacation in a few months it was not to take care of myself it was not to do the right thing it was selfish reasons of not wanting to deal with my lady problems in a couple of months and i just know it's not going to be worth the stress i'm going to have to put myself through i don't want to do it so okay you're on that vacation you'll be so happy that you did that you don't have that you don't have your

00:34:15 - 00:34:21 | Speaker 2:

period on the vacation oh my that's not what i thought you meant when you said birth control

00:34:21 - 00:34:39 | Speaker 3:

i was like okay get it my period is set to oh god no are you kidding i'm going with my family my period you might meet somebody my period is set to start the first day vacation and i knew that like that was not something i wanted to deal with did you bring condoms um megan actually mike

00:34:39 - 00:35:00 | Speaker 2:

it's funny because a couple of people just texted and just now hearing it from megan in a little bit of a delay on the uh on our show uh delay that said megan's gonna get her some some on vacation there's a lot of minutes see rock the boat um okay so megan i get that i understand it i think a lot of people have anxiety when it comes to

00:35:00 - 00:35:25 | Speaker 1:

Going to the doctor There's nothing worse I want to tell you this I think that the doctors Need to stop doing the whole We're going to weigh you in At the start of the damn thing There is nothing worse Oh yeah Than when the doctor says to you Or the doctor's assistant says to you Hi how you doing Oh great how are you Oh my god it's great It's a beautiful day isn't it Yeah Hey can you jump on the scale Yeah basically it's like saying Oh it's a great day Now I'm going to F up your day You know what I mean

00:35:25 - 00:35:54 | Speaker 3:

But the gyno is the worst Oh I totally agree with Megan I don't know Although I do know, I go to a gyno. You do know, but the gyno is the worst because even though you're taking off your underwear, you still feel the need to have clean underwear because it's like they have like x-ray vision into the pant leg that you tuck your underwear up into. If your underwear is clean or dirty, you have to shave your legs. You have to lotion your feet. You have to make sure your Christmas area is nice because they're all up in there. Wait a second. You have to do all that to go?

00:35:54 - 00:35:55 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

00:35:55 - 00:36:07 | Speaker 2:

The way that I spent 20 minutes literally shaving yesterday, just like with a mirror all over the place, like, did I take care of everything? Yes. It was so stressful.

00:36:08 - 00:36:16 | Speaker 1:

What's the fear if you just go in there like you really are? See, I'm okay with doctors shaming and judging because they're forcing me to be a better person.

00:36:16 - 00:36:30 | Speaker 2:

They're not, though. I'm a worse person than I was four years ago, and going to the doctor has not changed any of that. Lies. That's just masochistic at this point. And by the way, good word for me. Thank you. That was very good.

00:36:30 - 00:36:54 | Speaker 1:

She's back at the front of the line. Yes, Jim. Okay, so will you guys do us a favor? Because you guys are so smart, Shannon and Megan and KP and Lydia. Women are so much smarter than guys, but you also have to do so much different than us. When you guys go to the lady doctor and you guys have to do all the stuff, you guys have to lotion your legs. you have to do it. Why are you trying to turn your doctor on?

00:36:54 - 00:36:55 | Speaker 5:

No, you're just trying.

00:36:55 - 00:36:57 | Speaker 2:

I do not do that.

00:36:57 - 00:37:01 | Speaker 1:

You don't do any of that stuff, KP? Well, KP, because you're young and, you know, whatever.

00:37:02 - 00:37:15 | Speaker 2:

I'm trying not to be remembered. You don't have to do that. Do they say anything about it? I mean, they wouldn't say, oh, you have ashy thighs. No, but ask any doctor what the worst thing they've seen is, and they will tell you, and you don't want to be the worst.

00:37:16 - 00:37:32 | Speaker 3:

Megan, have you ever been at the gyno and you have your feet up in the stirrups? And if it's warm weather, right, you're not wearing socks or anything because you probably rolled in wearing flip-flops. I notice my, like, feet are dry. I really quick lick my fingers and then at least make it look like they're not anymore.

00:37:32 - 00:37:40 | Speaker 2:

You know what I'm talking about? Also, here's my question. Do you even, if you're wearing, like, a closed-toed shoe, do you leave your socks on for the stirrups? I do.

00:37:40 - 00:37:46 | Speaker 3:

Because to me, it's weirder to leave your socks on. I know, but I do because my feet are usually looking not great in the wintertime.

00:37:46 - 00:37:51 | Speaker 1:

Erica, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. and Megan's going to the doctor today, and she's very nervous about it.

00:37:52 - 00:38:17 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, guys. I was actually here five at 6.55 a couple of weeks ago. Oh, really? Good morning. Yes. So prior to COVID, I actually worked as an MA for a while, and I worked in gynecology. And it was a menopause specialty, so they're older women. We don't care. We don't care. I know everybody feels like it's judgment. I work for a male doctor also. We don't care. Honestly, we talked more crap.

00:38:17 - 00:38:23 | Speaker 1:

I got to dump that. I got to dump that. I got to dump that. So you guys would talk crap about the people that would look all nice?

00:38:25 - 00:38:44 | Speaker 4:

Yes, because I also worked in West Bloomfield, so it was very, you know, ugly. And you have these women that are, like, attracted to the doctor, coming in in high-heeled shoes. You can tell they went to the salon, got waxed and everything. The moment they walked out, oh, I'm talking crap. I'm talking crap. Like, do you think that he was going to do it to you in here? Because he wasn't.

00:38:44 - 00:38:52 | Speaker 2:

Now, my question is, socks or no socks in the stirrups? Socks. Absolutely wear socks.

00:38:52 - 00:39:00 | Speaker 4:

I think it's the grossest thing. There are so many people that go in those stirrups. They are not cleaned every single time. Ladies, they're not cleaned every single time.

00:39:00 - 00:39:05 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I didn't even think about that. See, Dr. Werner has little fuzzy socks that he's constantly putting on.

00:39:05 - 00:39:06 | Speaker 1:

Oh, he puts on, yeah, okay.

00:39:06 - 00:39:07 | Speaker 3:

And they're really cute. Yeah.

00:39:08 - 00:39:20 | Speaker 4:

And like most offices do, they'll have something you can put on or some kind of like disposable. But there are offices that don't, and they just let you put your feet in it. And you don't know what you're going to catch. Always wear socks.

00:39:21 - 00:39:23 | Speaker 1:

All right. Thank you for the call, Erica. What's going on, Morgan?

00:39:23 - 00:39:24 | Speaker 5:

Good morning.

00:39:25 - 00:39:25 | Speaker 1:

Hey, what's happening?

00:39:26 - 00:39:43 | Speaker 5:

So it took me 30 minutes to shave last night for the appointment. I'm 30 weeks pregnant and absolutely massive. So I had a whole lot to work around. Oh, man. Yeah.

00:39:43 - 00:39:53 | Speaker 1:

Wow, so you've got to make sure that, yeah, that's, you know what? But at that point right there, although I guess you have to kind of pre-before birth, right? Do a little bit of last-minute grooming?

00:39:53 - 00:39:57 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, you've got to ask you what I'm doing before birth.

00:39:58 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 1:

You can ask your man to help you?

00:40:00 - 00:40:09 | Speaker 3:

uh he's weird about that oh i would never that would i would never it's not bad it's not i would

00:40:09 - 00:40:20 | Speaker 1:

never he helps you make a baby you won't ask him to help you groom no just like i don't want you picking at my acne there are limits to love rose rose had the worst thing happen to her when she

00:40:20 - 00:40:39 | Speaker 2:

went to the gyno what happened uh my gang causes he um owns his own laser hair removal um i had freshly shaved in my Christmas, and he still, he offered me his treatment. He said, you know, you don't have to do that anymore if you go hair removal.

00:40:40 - 00:40:47 | Speaker 1:

So while he was down there looking at your thing, he said, you know, I can actually take care of this for you.

00:40:48 - 00:40:57 | Speaker 2:

He did. He was just getting done doing his whatever, and he pops up, and he's like, hey, you know, I offer laser hair removal. You don't want to have to do that again.

00:40:57 - 00:40:58 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

00:40:59 - 00:41:01 | Speaker 3:

I love that you said it, and he popped up.

00:41:02 - 00:41:09 | Speaker 1:

He popped up like Mario with his light on his head. Do they wear that? Does Dr. Warner wear one of those when he does that with you?

00:41:10 - 00:41:10 | Unknown:

No.

00:41:10 - 00:41:42 | Speaker 1:

No? He looks like a miner. I was literally going to say he's not a coal miner. Bojo in the morning Daddy, Daughter Dance Got some winners here on the phone Will you guys all say hello to Kalina, who's on with us Hi Hey, Kalina You're going, congratulations

00:41:42 - 00:41:44 | Speaker 3:

Oh my gosh, thank you so much

00:41:45 - 00:42:13 | Speaker 1:

Kalina, you're 22 years old. Your dad is Jim. You guys are from Shelby Township, Michigan. Nice to have you guys on here. Tell us about dad. First off, let me ask you this question. This is a very like confession-y type question I'm going to ask you. What in your entire 22 years of existence do you remember pissed your dad off the most that got you in the most trouble or yelled at the most by your dad?

00:42:14 - 00:42:23 | Speaker 3:

I was a pretty good kid But I got in trouble one time for sneaking out And I never did it again Because I learned my lesson

00:42:23 - 00:42:25 | Speaker 1:

Where did you go? Where did you sneak out to?

00:42:26 - 00:42:33 | Speaker 3:

Honestly, it wasn't even anything crazy I just went to go hang out with friends But yeah, he caught me Because I can't lie

00:42:33 - 00:42:45 | Speaker 1:

You know what? They catch you You want to know why they catch you? When I say they I actually fit in that Because I'm a parent too Because we've got ring cams No, I don't know That's the only reason I get to catch people.

00:42:45 - 00:42:50 | Speaker 3:

Seriously, it's funny you say that because seriously, after that event, we've got ring cameras all over our lives.

00:42:51 - 00:43:04 | Speaker 1:

Before that, dad did not need, he doesn't need security for people coming into the house. He has security for you leaving the house. We're going to have fun. I can't wait to meet your dad. We'll see you at Daddy Daughter Dance. Hold on one sec, okay?

00:43:04 - 00:43:07 | Speaker 3:

His birthday is actually tomorrow too.

00:43:07 - 00:43:09 | Speaker 1:

Oh, happy birthday. Happy birthday, Jim. What's Jim's last name?

00:43:11 - 00:43:12 | Speaker 3:

Caravelli.

00:43:12 - 00:43:19 | Speaker 1:

Jim Caravelli. If you know him, wish him a happy birthday from Mojo in the Morning for us. Hold on the line for one second.

00:43:19 - 00:43:28 | Speaker 3:

I'm not on me now. I just went in my purse. I was just listening. I do not. I thought I had the paper. I don't have the paper. Did you get, wait, hold on.

00:43:29 - 00:43:30 | Speaker 1:

Did you get pulled over by the police?

00:43:30 - 00:43:31 | Unknown:

Oh, gosh.

00:43:32 - 00:43:41 | Speaker 1:

Did you get, wait, did you, uh, Keisha, did you get pulled over by the cappers? Keisha. Keisha.

00:43:41 - 00:43:44 | Speaker 3:

She's busy right now looking for her license and registration.

00:43:44 - 00:43:53 | Speaker 1:

I know, but I want to get her out of this thing. I know a lot of coppers. Keisha. Well, we don't know what she did yet. Well, but that's okay. Keisha, did you get pulled over?

00:43:55 - 00:43:58 | Speaker 3:

No, believe it or not, I just got in a car accident. Oh, no.

00:44:01 - 00:44:01 | Speaker 1:

Keisha.

00:44:02 - 00:44:07 | Speaker 3:

Are you okay? I am. My car might not be the best, but I am fine.

00:44:07 - 00:44:11 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Keisha, I'm sorry about that. I hope we didn't have anything to do with you getting in a car accident.

00:44:12 - 00:44:17 | Speaker 2:

No, it's fine. It's just Southfield Freeway, bumper to bumper. Oh, it's the worst.

00:44:17 - 00:44:20 | Speaker 1:

Did you give a love tap to the person in front of you?

00:44:21 - 00:44:23 | Speaker 3:

I did. Not much damage, but I did.

00:44:24 - 00:44:24 | Speaker 1:

Oh, jeez.

00:44:25 - 00:44:30 | Speaker 3:

They can't hear me. I have to hold on one second. Okay. Yeah, so it's all right. It's fine.

00:44:30 - 00:44:31 | Unknown:

It's fine.

00:44:31 - 00:44:46 | Speaker 1:

Keisha, we're going to get you passes to the – give her VIP passes, please. I feel bad for her. Hold on. We're going to give you, we'll make sure that your dad has a really good time at our daddy-daughter dance.

00:44:47 - 00:44:48 | Speaker 3:

Thank you so much.

00:44:48 - 00:44:57 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I hate to hear that. That sucks. Bianca, we're going to give you also tickets, too, for you and your dad, Ken. How you doing, Bianca?

00:44:57 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 3:

Pretty good. How are you this morning?

00:44:59 - 00:45:03 | Speaker 1:

We're good. Good. Congratulations to you. You got some tickets to our daddy-daughter dance.

00:45:04 - 00:45:05 | Speaker 3:

Well, thank you very much.

00:45:06 - 00:45:09 | Speaker 1:

We love you for listening, and tell Dad Ken to get ready.

00:45:09 - 00:45:19 | Speaker 3:

Get ready. My dad just texted me yesterday, and he said, I know this might be premature, but what are you wearing? I would like to start planning to match you. Which I thought was so cute. I know. That's sweet.

00:45:20 - 00:45:34 | Speaker 1:

Like father, like daughter. Right? He's thinking of his outfit. By the way, if any dads want to, you can dress up, or if you want to, put it on the old dad wear. Yes. You want to put on some Reeboks? Wear whatever. You want to, you know, get the dad's stretchy pants? Whatever.

00:45:34 - 00:45:35 | Speaker 3:

The Hawaiian shirt.

00:45:35 - 00:45:50 | Speaker 1:

Matter of fact, I will say this to you. When we did this last time and Megan's dad showed up in that nice Hawaiian shirt with the Crocs and everything and Megan was matching them, I thought that was the cutest thing ever. So, have fun. Make your dad be comfortable. Thanks.

00:45:51 - 00:45:56 | Speaker 4:

Now I'm going to have to do that again this year. After buying that really expensive suit twice. Oh, yeah.

00:45:56 - 00:46:04 | Speaker 1:

No, you want to know why? Because your dad is now a sexy dad. He's skinnier. He's got a lady friend.

00:46:04 - 00:46:04 | Speaker 4:

He does.

00:46:05 - 00:46:09 | Speaker 1:

And I do know this because he asked me for a pass for her. So I'm really excited about it.

00:46:09 - 00:46:11 | Speaker 4:

No, he didn't. No, he didn't.

00:46:11 - 00:46:14 | Speaker 1:

What would you do if your dad actually wanted to bring his lady friend?

00:46:14 - 00:46:19 | Speaker 4:

I would just like to meet her. Apparently, she's going to be in downtown Detroit this week, and I'm going to try to find her.

00:46:20 - 00:46:22 | Speaker 1:

Wait, is she going to Taylor Swift?

00:46:22 - 00:46:22 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah.

00:46:23 - 00:46:24 | Speaker 1:

Who is she going to Taylor Swift with?

00:46:24 - 00:46:25 | Speaker 4:

With her daughter.

00:46:25 - 00:46:28 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you got competition? on the daughter side.

00:46:28 - 00:46:34 | Speaker 4:

I know. Apparently her kids are really nice too so I'm screwed. Ever come see us. I'm going to get

00:46:34 - 00:46:38 | Speaker 3:

written out of the will. Yeah, we could take pictures with everyone because we're all going to be hanging out.

00:46:38 - 00:46:41 | Speaker 1:

No, what happens though? What happens if we like her daughter more than Megan?

00:46:42 - 00:46:43 | Speaker 4:

I'm sure that will happen.

00:46:43 - 00:47:05 | Speaker 1:

What happens if Scott Mick all of a sudden starts claiming that he's got two daughters? You know what I mean? Like if they get married and Scott Mick takes her on as like my daughter. Like honestly, I always used to sit there and think to myself, I could never be in the Brady Bunch, because if I was in the Brady Bunch, I would have killed the other kids that came from the other side.

00:47:05 - 00:47:11 | Speaker 4:

Well, I don't think it would be hard to have more sisters, because my brother is practically my sister. Oh, that's true. So, I'm going to marry her.

00:47:11 - 00:47:26 | Speaker 1:

That's true. All right, well, we look forward. Maybe we'll get a chance to meet. All right, it's Mojo in the morning show. So, Kev, we got to talk to Kev about this one. And Kev is our new guy here, working with us here for, what, a couple of weeks now?

00:47:27 - 00:47:28 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm in the third week, I think.

00:47:28 - 00:47:38 | Speaker 1:

And I feel honestly already that since you've been here, I feel more awake in the morning because you shock me to wake up at moments when all of a sudden I hear, Yeah!

00:47:39 - 00:47:39 | Unknown:

Hey!

00:47:39 - 00:47:40 | Speaker 1:

Oh, hey!

00:47:41 - 00:47:45 | Speaker 3:

Kev comes in, he hugs everybody in the room. He's yelling, he's singing.

00:47:46 - 00:47:59 | Speaker 1:

Very upbeat. Honestly, the total vibe in the studio is completely like a lot more upbeat with you kind of hanging out with us. But there are certain things, though, that we need to leave it to the young folk.

00:47:59 - 00:48:03 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Talking about upbeat, there are just some people that aren't.

00:48:03 - 00:48:13 | Speaker 1:

Real quick. Real quick. I have not heard this topic yet. Are you referring to anything with me? Because if you're referring to anything with me and calling me out on this one here right now, I need to be prepared.

00:48:13 - 00:49:27 | Speaker 2:

No. Sounds like straight up yes. Of course not, Mojo. All right, go ahead. Tell us. I want to start this by saying I'm in no way, shape, or form an ageist. I think that's the proper term. I love my old folks. Blessed to have my grandmother still alive, 92 years old. She's still kicking and screaming. But I just feel like there are some things in life that old people should just not do. And one of those things I felt like are, you know, it's a job. Everybody knows I got into a car accident. Long story short, the tow truck guy comes. i'm looking out of my window because i want to make sure everything goes right and he literally is like mario he's like old as hell he has no hair and he's crazy like it's almost like the tow truck was too big for him like he had to like ease his way out of the tow truck he's all hunched over walking around in my car and i'm just like this guy needs help why don't they send this guy out here so i go outside because i put my keys in the glove compartment he's struggling he can't find the keys i'm like i go in the glove compartment like sir here they are he's like Oh, thank you. I'm just like, bro, I'm about to go back here. You look like you need help, but they sent you out here, so I think you got it. I just feel like there are some jobs that old people should stay away from, and being a tow truck driver is one of them. Really?

00:49:27 - 00:49:31 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so you're calling out old people and Mario. Okay, I see what you're doing.

00:49:31 - 00:49:32 | Unknown:

I see what's going on.

00:49:33 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 1:

No, but I have to tell you, though, that that is the interesting thing about some of the people that have come to my house recently to fix things. We had a plumber come to my house, and I felt like I was his apprentice because I was so worried the guy was going to die in my house. Like, he was so old that he was carrying stuff in. I'm like, hey, let me help you carry that stuff. And I kind of felt bad. So this guy, he was towing your car that got in that car accident? Yeah, man. And I feel a little bad because I didn't watch the process.

00:50:00 - 00:50:14 | Speaker 2:

I didn't offer help, but if they send you out, then you must be good. But it comes to a point where it's like if a person does a job like that and they're still doing it at that age, they must still be able to do it, right? Nobody would actually, yeah.

00:50:14 - 00:50:18 | Speaker 3:

Or the tow truck company is just so desperate for bodies. They're like, you still want to work?

00:50:19 - 00:50:52 | Speaker 2:

All right. They'll take zombies. Whatever. Have any of our listeners ever had that happen to them before? because now I'm starting to see senior citizens take on other jobs like, you know, more senior citizens now, you know, working at restaurants as servers. More senior citizens, you know, now are kind of like helping out in all different ways. They used to be the person at the front of the store that just said hello to you. Now they're the person having to stock shelves because there's nobody that showed up for work. But I feel bad. Like, I agree with you. I feel bad that they're working and I don't want them to like hurt themselves. A tow truck is for a young person.

00:50:52 - 00:51:09 | Speaker 1:

I want an old person who's been around cars for 40 years to know exactly where to hook it up. A young person would hook it up to the body and not to frame and ruin my car. An old person knows how every... He probably made the parts of that car at some point.

00:51:09 - 00:51:24 | Speaker 3:

But sometimes it does require a big physical effort. When I hit that tree a couple years ago during the ice storm and they had to get my car... The guy had to push it to get it into a position where he could attach the truck to my car.

00:51:24 - 00:51:45 | Speaker 2:

Wait, what if the guy, what if the old person says, hey, I can't get to this thing? Kev, can you push the thing out? And he's sitting in the car all warm and cozy. I'm just going to shake my head. 844 Mojo Live, 844-665-6548. Where have you seen an almost death person doing something? Oh, my God.

00:51:45 - 00:51:47 | Speaker 3:

You don't have to phrase it like that.

00:51:47 - 00:52:10 | Speaker 2:

I'm not an ageist, but they're called that now. That's a proper term. That is a proper term. They're using that nowadays. But where have you seen a person that was so old working and you kind of felt bad for them? Like, if I work at or go to a restaurant, I've been to restaurants before where the lady was like 80 years old and she's getting my order. I wanted to go to the kitchen and actually get it for her. Your plates are shaking when she's bringing it back.

00:52:10 - 00:52:11 | Speaker 3:

Your coffee's all over. Eggs, right.

00:52:13 - 00:52:15 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Kelly? Hi, it's Mojo in the Morning.

00:52:16 - 00:52:22 | Speaker 5:

Hi, I was just calling to say that my dad is a tow truck driver, and he is 62 years old. Oh, my gosh. Maybe this was him.

00:52:22 - 00:52:26 | Speaker 3:

Does he look like Mario? That is not old to me. Yeah, that's still young. 62 is not old.

00:52:26 - 00:52:35 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. He's still young in my eyes, but he's been doing it for a long time. He does the police towing, so if you get into a car accident, he's the guy that'll tow your car.

00:52:35 - 00:52:50 | Speaker 2:

Wait, how old was this guy that was? I feel like he was older than 62. Really? Yeah. His body had 80. His body said 80. 80 years old. Now, that is way too old, don't you think, to be towing cars? I mean, I know that the guy knows what he's doing, but still.

00:52:51 - 00:52:54 | Speaker 5:

If you don't have a pension and you can't retire, you just keep doing it.

00:52:54 - 00:52:59 | Speaker 2:

I know, but then there's got to be, like, he can be the dispatch guy in the office. What's up, Christina?

00:53:00 - 00:53:07 | Speaker 4:

Hi. I just wanted to call in. I don't know who it was that was saying elderly shouldn't be tow truck drivers.

00:53:07 - 00:53:15 | Speaker 2:

No, no, no. Kevin was not saying that they shouldn't be tow truck drivers. He's saying if you're 80 years old, you're going to die being a tow truck driver. That's what he was saying.

00:53:15 - 00:53:31 | Speaker 4:

Sorry. No, I'm just kidding. We woke up late. But I just had one out of Twin Lake, Michigan a few weeks ago. I forget the name of the actual company. But I'd like to shout him out because he was not only very polite and courteous, he was very cautious with my vehicle.

00:53:31 - 00:53:32 | Speaker 2:

How old was he?

00:53:33 - 00:53:36 | Speaker 4:

He said he was 72 years old. Oh, come on.

00:53:36 - 00:53:39 | Speaker 2:

You let that guy get underneath your car to put that.

00:53:40 - 00:53:40 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely.

00:53:41 - 00:53:44 | Speaker 2:

When he was getting up, did you help him get up?

00:53:44 - 00:53:46 | Speaker 6:

I did. I did. You did.

00:53:48 - 00:53:52 | Speaker 2:

See, I don't know. I feel worried about him. What's up, Neo? What's going on?

00:53:53 - 00:53:54 | Speaker 6:

Hey, what's up?

00:53:55 - 00:53:56 | Speaker 2:

How you doing?

00:53:56 - 00:53:57 | Speaker 6:

I'm doing good.

00:53:58 - 00:53:58 | Speaker 2:

What's happening?

00:54:00 - 00:54:32 | Speaker 6:

So, I would order DoorDash a lot from my apartment because I was really lazy, and I lived on the third floor, but we didn't have an elevator. So this old person dropped off my order, and they messaged me to help him down the stairs. Oh, my gosh. See? Oh, gosh. I felt so bad. I gave him, like, $20 cash, like, extra tip, and, like, walked him down. It's a scam. You think that's a bit? Is that a bit?

00:54:32 - 00:54:41 | Speaker 2:

You know how people, like, jump up and click their heels? The moment he got outside. Got him. That is a scam-a-lam-a. Oh, my gosh.

00:54:41 - 00:54:47 | Speaker 6:

I felt so bad, and I actually kind of stopped ordering DoorDash for that reason. I was like, I'm not doing this again.

00:54:48 - 00:54:49 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. What's up, Samantha? How you doing?

00:54:50 - 00:54:51 | Speaker 6:

Hi.

00:54:51 - 00:54:52 | Speaker 2:

Hey, what's happening?

00:54:53 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 5:

Oh, not much. Yeah, I work for the conservation district in my area, and we work with a soy...

00:55:00 - 00:55:14 | Speaker 7:

Who's 84 85 what does that person do? I don't understand. Oh, so he like cuts down trees He has his chainsaw and he comes down our big trees and he's how old like 84 85

00:55:14 - 00:55:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh my god

00:55:18 - 00:55:21 | Speaker 1:

How high up in the tree does he go does he go up high or is he like

00:55:21 - 00:55:26 | Speaker 7:

No, he's like on the ground We do like this

00:55:26 - 00:55:32 | Speaker 2:

By the way, he can't even get Enough energy to say timber When everything's falling down

00:55:32 - 00:55:37 | Speaker 7:

He just faces us Like I'm always surprised

00:55:37 - 00:55:44 | Speaker 2:

That's amazing I can't believe this, Helen, you're right I see this all the time when I go to Pine Knob But the old people that work at Pine Knob

00:55:44 - 00:55:47 | Speaker 6:

Oh my goodness Can you hear me?

00:55:47 - 00:56:01 | Speaker 2:

Yes, how you doing? I went to a concert, I went to go see Zac Brown the guy was walking me my seat he gives me my tickets and says just count up the rows he was he was like done he didn't want to take me to my seat absolutely we thought the thing that we were

00:56:01 - 00:56:18 | Speaker 6:

at dirks Bentley on friday night my daughter and i and i mean i'm in my 50s so sickly young yeah and i'm looking at these ushers i'm like holy smoke are they doing this because they want to be or because they need to be i mean they seem to be having fun well they hired them you know

00:56:18 - 00:56:22 | Speaker 2:

why they hired them? They hired them because they already lost their hearing.

00:56:24 - 00:56:25 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God.

00:56:27 - 00:56:31 | Speaker 1:

Don't you guys kill my retirement plan. Don't kill my retirement plan. That's why I'm going out.

00:56:31 - 00:56:39 | Speaker 2:

Hold on a second. Hold on. Our elderly president wants to make a comment. What did you want to say about me? What a stupid son of a bitch.

00:56:41 - 00:56:44 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:56:44 - 00:56:47 | Speaker 2:

Shannon, what do you got trending in this hour's Dirty on the 30?

00:56:47 - 00:57:01 | Speaker 3:

Well, Taylor Swift giving an emotional performance during one of her shows at Soldier Field in Chicago over the weekend before news of her split from the 1975s, Maddie Healy broke yesterday.

00:57:10 - 00:57:12 | Speaker 2:

I forgot she did that song. She's trembling.

00:57:12 - 00:57:59 | Speaker 3:

tears in her eyes and i don't want to live forever obviously breakups i mean it's about breaking up with somebody but later realizing you don't want to live forever unless they are with you um and yes if you missed it taylor and maddie are no longer after one month of dating sources telling me scheduling and incompatibility were the causes for the breakup i don't know that anybody really saw this lasting very long but people close to taylor say it was never anything serious. As soon as she's linked to somebody, the media just marries her off right away. She was just having fun. We won't be getting any love songs out of it. She was simply blowing off steam after her six year relationship with Joe Elwin, who one source told me was stifling. That was the word that they used. It was a stifling relationship for Taylor.

00:58:00 - 00:58:09 | Speaker 2:

We're happy though now, aren't we? That they're no longer together. We all thought that that was probably not a good event. Right? I think all Swifties felt that way.

00:58:09 - 00:58:24 | Speaker 3:

Chrissy Teigen said she recently decided to do a 23andMe DNA test as part of her health and wellness journey. She said she almost had a heart attack when the results came back and said she had a twin. I did 23andMe.

00:58:24 - 00:58:27 | Speaker 5:

And the first thing that came up was this.

00:58:28 - 00:58:33 | Speaker 3:

I have an identical twin. An identical twin. And she was like, this has to be a joke, right?

00:58:33 - 00:58:45 | Speaker 5:

Honestly, at this point, I'm spiraling. I call my dad and I literally say dad did you see me come out of mom and were there two of me he starts laughing saying no I was there there were not two of you and I was like

00:58:45 - 00:58:51 | Speaker 4:

are you sure you were there so she's like okay who else can I call and talk to her about this

00:58:51 - 00:59:18 | Speaker 5:

she calls her sister so I call my sister and I say do I have an identical twin she's like and her gasp i swear to god i was like oh my god i do i have a twin my sister was like chrissy no remember when you were supposed to do that show like finding your roots and so they had us all take dna tests and they put it under like secret names you guys my identical twin was myself i was

00:59:18 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 3:

matching myself have you guys ever watched that show finding your roots it like they have celebrities take DNA tests and then they trace their blood lines and analyze their genetics. I've never watched it either but they did they prepared Chrissy to do the episode. They never actually ended up filming her episode but the results were still out there like she said under a fake name. When she took it. Do you see what I mean? She matched with herself and it came back like there's another identical one of you out there. Isn't that crazy? I know, me too. Moving on to Kanye West His wife Is she really his wife? I don't know Bianca Sensor

01:00:00 - 01:00:57 | Speaker 4:

has been struggling with the spotlight is the story I'm getting. And while Kanye, we all know this, loves being the center of attention, sources telling me Bianca is not at all about it. She very much prefers to be in the background, hates the paparazzi. That same source telling me it was actually Kanye who dressed her in that funky black gauze head-to-toe outfit for Sunday service this weekend. She's happy to go along with whatever he wants when he dresses her, especially if it means she doesn't have to be seen. She can kind of hide behind all of this very interesting clothing. So she is just way more low-key than anybody he's ever been with. Doesn't want to be posting, doesn't want to give interviews, et cetera, et cetera. But, yeah. What did she think was going to happen? I mean, you're marrying Kanye West. Right. You're with him all the time. Right. And lastly, though she is married to Justin Timberlake of NSYNC fame, Jessica Biel said she was a huge, huge New Kids on the Block fan back in the day.

01:00:57 - 01:00:58 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my gosh. How dare she?

01:00:59 - 01:01:12 | Speaker 1:

I was a huge New Kids fan, and I wrote a letter, sent a headshot, and sent Joey an earring, and also never got a response. So I feel your pain.

01:01:13 - 01:01:34 | Speaker 4:

She was talking about fans who write their idols but never get letters back. I think I wrote Taylor Hansen like 25 letters and never got one back. But anyway, so she was like, I can empathize with you. I know what that feels like because I did it to Joey McEntire. I just love that Now she's married To Justin Timberlake Right For all of today's Dirty Check out the Dirty page On mojointhemorning.com

01:01:59 - 01:02:01 | Speaker 6:

Marina, you think that your boyfriend is cheating?

01:02:02 - 01:02:16 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I do. I think that he's been cheating, and he's just, like, avoiding the question of, you know, is it true? Because I think he is.

01:02:16 - 01:02:20 | Speaker 6:

And you think that it's with a girl that he has had a relationship with in the past?

01:02:21 - 01:02:38 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Um, so we've been together for like two years now and there's always been like this ex that's been lingering in the background. And when I say lingering, I mean like randomly we'll show up places where we are.

01:02:38 - 01:02:43 | Speaker 6:

So you don't think it's just coincidental? You think that she knows you guys are going to be there?

01:02:44 - 01:02:53 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I feel like he is secretly saying, hey, we're going to be here. And she just pops up.

01:02:53 - 01:02:58 | Speaker 6:

Does he act shocked when she's there? Or is he upset that she's there?

01:02:58 - 01:03:03 | Speaker 5:

Oh, hon, I have no idea she was going to be here. It's like that to me, no.

01:03:04 - 01:03:07 | Speaker 4:

And it's happening over and over again in very different situations.

01:03:08 - 01:03:09 | Speaker 5:

In different situations.

01:03:09 - 01:03:22 | Speaker 6:

But why would he want to put himself in a bad spot with you by telling her to come there? It sounds to me like this girl, does he ever say that this girl is stalking you guys?

01:03:23 - 01:03:40 | Speaker 5:

I mean, he tries to make up different scenarios like, oh, this is her favorite spot too. Or, oh, she would never do anything to hurt us. I think, you know, hon, why are you tripping? Why are you thinking about her? But it's like, no. I think that's what's going on.

01:03:40 - 01:03:58 | Speaker 6:

I just don't think as a guy that I would say, yeah, show up at this place and make me look like a bigger a-hole to my girlfriend. You got her phone number. How did you get her phone number? That was my phone. And so you grabbed her phone number, and you want us to do a three-way call with these guys.

01:03:58 - 01:04:04 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I really want to know what's going on. I want to know, can I really trust him?

01:04:04 - 01:04:10 | Speaker 3:

When you got his cell phone, did you check out their text history or their phone history? Did you see anything?

01:04:11 - 01:04:31 | Speaker 5:

So, of course, I, like, scrolled through. And, like, they have texted here and there. Hey, how you doing? And she does, like, these kissy face emojis. He doesn't do in a return, but it's the whole fact that he's engaging. Like, he's entertaining this behavior. And he shouldn't.

01:04:31 - 01:04:37 | Speaker 6:

All right, we're calling up both of their phone numbers. and we're going to see what they sound like talking to each other, okay?

01:04:38 - 01:04:38 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

01:04:39 - 01:04:40 | Speaker 6:

Don't say a word. Mute your phone.

01:04:42 - 01:04:53 | Speaker 5:

All right, I'm muting. Hello?

01:04:57 - 01:04:57 | Unknown:

Hello?

01:05:00 - 01:05:08 | Speaker 3:

hello hello hello hey what's going on oh hey

01:05:11 - 01:05:45 | Speaker 4:

wait where are you calling me you just called me no i no i didn't i must have called you on accident I mean, we actually do need to talk, though. We got to stop what we're doing here, you know? I mean, it's been a minute since I've seen you, but, you know, we got to stop this. Like, we cannot be doing this anymore.

01:05:46 - 01:05:47 | Speaker 3:

What?

01:05:48 - 01:05:58 | Speaker 4:

I mean, like I told you before, like, you know, we talked about this before. we have to stop stop this it's not feeling right

01:05:58 - 01:06:01 | Speaker 3:

so now you want to stop?

01:06:01 - 01:06:02 | Speaker 4:

you gotta stop calling me

01:06:02 - 01:06:11 | Speaker 3:

I don't call you Javon you know I only text you you're the one that calls me

01:06:11 - 01:06:14 | Speaker 4:

I was saying this has to end

01:06:14 - 01:06:21 | Speaker 3:

wait what? what are you talking about?

01:06:23 - 01:06:25 | Speaker 4:

I'm just saying, like, what we're doing.

01:06:27 - 01:06:28 | Speaker 3:

Why?

01:06:30 - 01:06:31 | Unknown:

You know why.

01:06:34 - 01:06:36 | Speaker 3:

Is it because of your girlfriend?

01:06:38 - 01:06:40 | Speaker 4:

You know why, yes.

01:06:42 - 01:07:15 | Speaker 3:

So now, all of a sudden, you just want to stop things because of your girlfriend when that didn't stop you, like, two weeks ago? things are different now how are they different how long have you known her like you said you have this girlfriend but like i don't think you're serious about her i don't think you really like her like that we're serious you could have fooled me two weeks ago

01:07:15 - 01:07:20 | Speaker 4:

So, I mean, that shouldn't happen.

01:07:21 - 01:07:35 | Speaker 3:

What the f*** happened two weeks ago? And I think that you're just trying to cover your tracks because you're going to get caught. What the f*** happened two weeks ago?

01:07:37 - 01:07:42 | Speaker 4:

Look, I just don't want any more drama. You just need to quit calling me, okay?

01:07:42 - 01:08:06 | Speaker 3:

What the f*** happened two weeks ago Wait Hello Uh huh, yeah, what happened Um Oh no Hello Don't say you know who this is It's Marina, it's f*** And I know you talking to f*** over there So what the f*** happened two weeks ago

01:08:06 - 01:08:35 | Speaker 1:

Hold on one second Marina, don't say anything right now, please because I got to let Javon know. Javon, this is the Mojo in the Morning Show, and we were doing The War of the Roses, and Marina is on the phone with us and listening in to a conversation that you're having with this girl and wondering what's going on and what happened two weeks ago. Javon.

01:08:35 - 01:08:37 | Speaker 2:

Did he really hang up the phone?

01:08:37 - 01:08:47 | Speaker 1:

Marina, hold on one second. That girl is on the phone. Are you there?

01:08:48 - 01:08:48 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:08:51 - 01:09:08 | Speaker 1:

Hey, this is Mojo in the Morning, and we're on the radio right now. And Javon's girlfriend wants to know exactly what the story is between the two of you guys. Hello?

01:09:10 - 01:09:11 | Speaker 2:

Hello?

01:09:12 - 01:09:12 | Speaker 1:

Marina?

01:09:14 - 01:09:14 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

01:09:15 - 01:09:16 | Speaker 3:

Did this thing up the phone?

01:09:17 - 01:09:20 | Speaker 1:

I did not know. Did they phone? No, I think she's still there.

01:09:20 - 01:09:22 | Speaker 3:

She's still here. She's still there. Yeah.

01:09:25 - 01:09:26 | Speaker 1:

Now she's not.

01:09:28 - 01:09:30 | Speaker 3:

Wow. This is some bullsh**.

01:09:31 - 01:09:35 | Speaker 1:

Something obviously happened between the two of those guys a couple of weeks ago, as you can hear.

01:09:35 - 01:09:38 | Speaker 3:

Well, and prior to that, too. It's very obvious.

01:09:39 - 01:09:50 | Speaker 1:

But it does seem like he's not liking the fact that she continues to push it, but not giving him any credit at all. But Marina, hang on one sec.

01:09:51 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 4:

This is the home of War of the Roses. Mojo in the morning. Call Mojo in the morning.

01:10:00 - 01:10:05 | Speaker 3:

Good morning, 844-MOJO-LIFE, 844-665-6548.

01:10:06 - 01:11:40 | Speaker 1:

Here's the question I have. So after the War of the Roses, we all started getting bad feelings that there were a couple of things that could be happening. One, we think either Javon knew what was going on, and that was the reason why Javon was acting so crazy. And then after we got done and talked to Marina for a little bit, because this one was done a while back, we couldn't get a hold of Marina anymore and had a hard time getting a hold of Marina. So the conversation was, was she also playing us for some kind of fools because of the fact that maybe this was their own thing just to be able to get on the radio? 844 Mojo Live, 844-665-6548 Now if anybody knows them I want to know exactly from you What the story is Because here again is the Problem that we face With War of the Roses, there are many times Where we'll have people that will Come on the air with us And then after they come on the air with us They will say You know what, I don't want it to air I don't want this ever to go on the air Marina was so Wanting this to be on the radio She was so eager to get this on the radio That it made me think to myself Okay, there's something wrong here Not Marina, but Marlena Hello, Marlena How you doing?

01:11:41 - 01:11:42 | Speaker 3:

I'm good

01:11:42 - 01:11:51 | Speaker 1:

So we're wondering, what's the story? Do you think that Javon was playing us? Or do you think both of them were playing us?

01:11:52 - 01:12:11 | Speaker 3:

No, I think that he was Like, so I think that he knows that you guys do the three-way calling like when it was going back to work in the beginning and then she was like well you called me and he's like no i called no you called me and then he's like oh maybe i must have butt doused you but then he changed the story and he's like well we have to

01:12:11 - 01:12:20 | Speaker 1:

stop this that's when he started getting clean that's what i thought too all of a sudden he started thinking uh-oh this is actually those guys from the radio station yeah she did not she was

01:12:20 - 01:12:28 | Speaker 3:

like and she was shocked that he even said that like she was like wait where is this coming from I'm like, just two weeks ago, he was basically in my bed or whatever. Yes.

01:12:29 - 01:13:31 | Speaker 1:

That's why I don't, can I be honest with you? I don't think that Raven has any idea what the heck's going on. I don't think that she, and by the way, the only reason why I know who she is and who this girl is, this girl, is because we called her and she's the only person that actually was truthful and honest with us. And we tried to get her to come on the air with us and she said that she wouldn't, she didn't want to be playing with us. but she did say that she and this guy have had a relationship with each other. So there is a relationship there, but this is the thing I don't understand. I don't understand if this, you know, Marina is playing us. She knows the guy is cheating or knows he's been with this other, you know, woman. So I don't know. This one confuses me the most out of ones we've had before. Sometimes it's clear cut, you know, and you get a clear cut cheater. sometimes it's a i don't know if they're cheating backstory and then sometimes i feel like i've been just hosed it's like they're gonna all of a sudden say baba booey or something like that you know

01:13:31 - 01:14:21 | Speaker 2:

what's up nia hi yes how we doing good what's going on good yes so first of all first thing listening on the way i was thinking okay this wife's crazy all right i don't really know i don't i don't understand a guy who would kind of set that up in that way and just listening through it and going through it i don't know i it feels like the the the guy himself oh um it's just it's just he doesn't really want to spell it out you know what i mean he was like you know what i'm talking about i don't know it's just real shady so you think that he's the shady one or they're both the shady ones i think i think she said she said i think he was kind of coming towards her and and she was just like okay are we doing this are we not and he was just like yeah i guess and Now he's trying to pull away. Now he's taking some back steps.

01:14:21 - 01:14:51 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and that's honestly what a lot of texters are saying right now. At 95500, the majority of them are saying he knew, definitely knew. A couple of other people that are jumping on here and saying that they think that for sure that these guys had a relationship with each other, and they think that this was a way to call out the relationship. Then there's some people that say that they believe That maybe Marina and Javon were in on this whole thing Doing the War of the Roses

01:14:51 - 01:15:03 | Speaker 2:

I don't know who knew or who didn't know But that third girl Her name was Raven There's something clearly happening No, she's in love. Yeah.

01:15:04 - 01:15:11 | Speaker 1:

She actually sounds very attractive, and you almost kind of want to know what she looks like, don't you? Did I just say that?

01:15:12 - 01:15:15 | Speaker 2:

I'm sorry. I had to hang you on the drive. I'm sorry. Let's dive into that.

01:15:15 - 01:15:28 | Speaker 1:

All right, Mojo on the Morning Show. So there is a way for you to find love, and it's not by going online or going to an app.

01:15:28 - 01:15:30 | Speaker 3:

No, I don't believe you.

01:15:30 - 01:15:33 | Speaker 1:

It's, Megan, something I think perfect for you.

01:15:33 - 01:15:34 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

01:15:34 - 01:15:34 | Speaker 1:

Okay?

01:15:35 - 01:15:38 | Speaker 3:

All right. Now I feel like this is going to be insulting, so I'm going to be kidding. No, no.

01:15:39 - 01:15:59 | Speaker 1:

It's called the imposter boyfriend. Okay? Do you have an attractive friend of the opposite sex? Do you have a guy that you find to be, like, relatively attractive? Yeah. It doesn't make a difference if they're single or if they're married. You can say me, that's okay

01:15:59 - 01:16:04 | Speaker 3:

You were top of mind, I'm not going to lie You were absolutely first

01:16:04 - 01:17:37 | Speaker 1:

Alright, the imposter boyfriend is this And it's also good for girlfriends too And it works for anything, even same-sex relationships Take them out on a few dates So talk to whoever they're maybe in a relationship with Or maybe they are somebody that's not in a relationship But you're in a purely platonic with them Go out on a few dates with them and go to consistent places where you know a lot of people hang out that might be single and people that you are interested in. This weekend I met a really, really cute couple and when I asked them a question of how they met, they told me this. They actually did the, and it was interesting because the girl took one of her guy friends who was like a really pretty guy. Like guys can be good looking and then guys can be pretty and pretty guys are the guys you got to use for this whole thing. Okay. Took a really pretty guy friend of his, uh, of hers that actually was in a relationship and they would go out to the same place all the time. And when they would go to this place, it was actually that, uh, place in Birmingham market and they would go sit at the bar and they would hang out with each other and they would go and drink and eat and stuff like that and laugh with each other. Like they were boyfriend and girlfriend. And occasionally they would talk to other people that were around the bar and by the second or third time that they had been there and they draw or drew the interest of other people that were there they finally admitted that they were just friends and they were in a platonic relationship with each other as a friend

01:17:37 - 01:17:43 | Speaker 3:

can i ask a question though yes what guy who is dating somebody is allowed to go hang out

01:17:43 - 01:18:36 | Speaker 1:

well this is what the okay the reason why they were doing that is because this guy had been part of their lives for a long time. His girlfriend was friends with her too. The girlfriend or the wife, I think he was married, was a nurse, worked at Beaumont, always worked nights. Guy was home kind of hanging out by himself. Long story short, what ended up happening was the couple that I met, really good looking couple, he would come to the bar, see her and see him and guys are attracted to girls that are with somebody girls look it's like girls with sunglasses or girls that wear detroit tigers hats you're like three numbers higher hot scale wise if you

01:18:36 - 01:19:37 | Speaker 2:

are with a dude i think or with a girl this is risky on so many levels though because well one being if a guy walks in and sees like a really hot girl like in this case your friend that you're or whomever that you were talking to but she's with somebody he's probably going to be hands off and go do his own thing so it has to be like the perfect storm of them bumping into each other at some point in the night and actually getting to talk where through conversation he realizes that she's not actually with that person we'll see you know what i mean like i have a single friend right my friend carrie and like if i'm out with her like people will come up and talk talk to her Because they see that she's not with somebody So she's more approachable She's not with a guy Do you know what I mean? Like a girl who's with a guy No guy is going to walk up And just start talking to that girl Yeah So it's hit or miss Do you know what I'm saying? Like if he steers clear If the guy who is interested in the girl Steers clear the whole night Because he's like Wait a second She's with her boyfriend or her husband Whatever I'm not going to be able to talk to her

01:19:37 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 1:

So Shannon in this case here The way that it worked was They would go to the same place Same days Same time Type of people were there I don't I've gone there before for lunch you know before I've gone there for you know dinner I've never gone there and just hung out but I guess the same day of the week it was like Thursday nights they would go to the place same people that were there and by week number three they finally admitted that they weren't dating

01:20:00 - 01:20:23 | Speaker 5:

each other and that's what happened and they would talk to everybody at the bar you kind of drew you know draw friendships with each other yeah and some people actually that go there might even know who i'm talking about uh about this the the couple that met sitting right at the bar and it was the imposter uh girlfriend but i think this is actually something that would work good and megan if you want to try it i'm free this week and i'm not because we got the concerts but kp have you would

01:20:23 - 01:20:35 | Speaker 6:

you ever do this would you ever think about this um i have a couple good guy friends that i go out with but honestly i feel like they're more of a repellent for anyone who'd want to be with me because they it looks like we're dating and i feel like guys don't want that but isn't that

01:20:35 - 01:20:45 | Speaker 5:

no that's the point isn't it to make them think that you're dating and then by finally a couple of dates in you tell them that you're not dating i feel i don't know i just feel like they they

01:20:45 - 01:20:49 | Speaker 6:

think they have no shot because you're already with somebody what what happens if they start

01:20:49 - 01:21:01 | Speaker 5:

this is the only part that i thought is a downfall is because when i was talking about pretty people, what happens if the person is so pretty that you take out that the person that you're trying to get in a relationship with wants that person?

01:21:01 - 01:21:02 | Speaker 1:

That's a problem.

01:21:03 - 01:21:05 | Speaker 5:

You know? Sarah, what's up?

01:21:06 - 01:21:17 | Speaker 1:

have you seen Megan's brother, Sean? Yes. He is very hot and Megan hangs out with him all the time so if this hasn't worked for Megan yet I don't think it works for anyone. Oh, great point.

01:21:17 - 01:21:19 | Speaker 5:

But they look like brother and sister

01:21:19 - 01:21:30 | Speaker 7:

though. Do you think so? Yeah. Well, actually, yeah, that's true. You guys do look I think we look alike, but people tell us all the time that we don't look alike. Oh, you guys totally look alike. I thought it was Megan's boyfriend. Did you really?

01:21:30 - 01:21:31 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:21:31 - 01:21:35 | Speaker 7:

I'm just glad somebody thought that I had a boyfriend.

01:21:37 - 01:21:38 | Speaker 5:

But Megan, it was your brother.

01:21:38 - 01:22:02 | Speaker 7:

Oh, yeah, red flag. To be fair to Mojo's point, though, about all this, I don't get hit on more than when I am in a relationship. Not necessarily that I have to be with that person, but what is it about that? Like, when you're single, it seems like the Sahara Desert out there. And then as soon as you start dating somebody, all these people are like, well, let's go on a date. Let's go out.

01:22:02 - 01:22:12 | Speaker 3:

It's so weird. Do you think it's a level of confidence that comes back or a level of not even caring? So you're not going for a purpose. You're just going out and doing things.

01:22:12 - 01:22:16 | Speaker 7:

I feel like I don't care anyways. And men gives me confidence.

01:22:17 - 01:22:27 | Speaker 5:

Mike, I agree. I think it's a confidence scale, but I also think it's kind of like when you see people eating something that looks really good and you're like, I got to have it. And then you end up having to want to order that.

01:22:27 - 01:22:56 | Speaker 6:

Wait, yes, there is truth to that because I dated someone in high school and then when we broke up after college, someone else that I went to high school with reached out to me and said, I always loved the way you and your ex, like I saw you in like the halls and like out in the town, you guys look so cute and like you're having fun. I've always wanted that. And then he was telling me that he wanted to like take me out. So maybe you are true. You're right, Mojo. Maybe they do, like, see, oh, I want that. The imposter. That cheeseburger looks really good with honey mustard.

01:22:56 - 01:22:59 | Speaker 5:

Any food analogies work with any kind of dating situation, too.

01:23:00 - 01:23:01 | Speaker 6:

Can I be a pretzel bun?

01:23:01 - 01:23:06 | Speaker 5:

Sure. I love them. I love a pretzel bun. But you've got to put a fried egg on it, right? You put a fried egg on it?

01:23:06 - 01:23:08 | Speaker 6:

No avocado for Shannon. Yep, that's right.

01:23:08 - 01:23:09 | Speaker 5:

What's up, Brad?

01:23:10 - 01:23:11 | Speaker 2:

What's going on?

01:23:12 - 01:23:12 | Speaker 5:

Nothing much.

01:23:12 - 01:23:38 | Speaker 2:

So, I think this whole thing's a huge red flag, because in my opinion, if I was interested in a girl, and I had seen her for weeks on end, hanging out with the same guy, and flirty, and acting like they're in a relationship, and then she told me that they were just friends, I would think that that was going to be an issue in the future.

01:23:39 - 01:23:41 | Speaker 7:

Oh, that's a good point.

01:23:42 - 01:23:51 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that's true. Well, especially if there's jealousy, and there always is, right?

01:23:51 - 01:24:12 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah. And, I mean, everybody, well, I can't say everybody, but if you think about it, there's a lot of people out there that are just friends, and then they end up breaking up with their significant other and end up with that person, or they end up fooling around on their significant other with that person. I mean, it happens a lot.

01:24:12 - 01:24:15 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, thank you for the call. I appreciate it. What's up, Brian? How you doing?

01:24:16 - 01:24:16 | Speaker 4:

Good.

01:24:17 - 01:24:17 | Speaker 5:

Good.

01:24:17 - 01:24:17 | Speaker 4:

How are you?

01:24:17 - 01:24:18 | Speaker 5:

What did you want to say?

01:24:19 - 01:24:24 | Speaker 4:

I just wanted to say, just because there's a goalie doesn't mean you can't score. Oh, you are true. Hey, now.

01:24:25 - 01:24:25 | Speaker 5:

There you go.

01:24:26 - 01:24:28 | Speaker 2:

We are the hockey town.

01:24:30 - 01:24:37 | Speaker 5:

Yes. Do you use that theory, and has it ever worked? I don't think so. What's happening, Andrew?

01:24:38 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 4:

Hey, there. So it definitely guys definitely try to pick up girls with other guys because me and my wife right after the very next day after we got married, we were on our honeymoon down in Florida. We're sitting at the bar getting something to eat and I get up to go to the bathroom and I come back and some guy is trying to talk to my wife and just of that whole thing of, you know.

01:25:00 - 01:25:06 | Speaker 1:

Guys definitely find that it's more attractive, I think, to try to get a girl that's with a guy. She's like, I'm here with my husband on our honeymoon.

01:25:08 - 01:26:30 | Speaker 4:

Wow. Isn't it wild? The balls. Somebody told me that if you go to one of these places, you know, like what's that company that does the vacations? Like it's... Like a Sandals. Sandals, yeah. Somebody told me that if you're a single guy or a single girl, go to Sandals and pick up the just got married, just got into a fight, went down to the bar person. And they say that if you just want to have like a quick, like let's have sex, you know, type situation, that you go to one of those places that always has people there or Tulum or whatever these places are where people go as couples. People get in fights on these vacations All the time for doing something stupid Like at the pool that day or whatever Hang out at the bar and that night There will be somebody that will come down there That just is like you know what Let's go I don't suggest it though No Especially if it's somebody that I know I don't want you guys doing that And getting yourself heartbroken here KP the one thing I did notice About the guy friends that you hang out with because I have noticed on your social media on the weekends, you do hang out with these guys. These guys that you hang out with are like crazy good-looking, and I'm like, wait a second. Why are you not fooling around with any of these guys? Why are you not dating any of these guys?

01:26:30 - 01:26:37 | Speaker 5:

Because I like having platonic guy friends to go out with because then they will carry you if you drink too much.

01:26:39 - 01:26:44 | Speaker 3:

But you know that. Your friends are all good-looking. Guys and girls, they are. You have a great group of friends.

01:26:44 - 01:27:01 | Speaker 5:

Thank you. I appreciate that. But, you know, given any chance, each one of those guys would definitely hook up with you, right? I don't like to think about it. Have you ever? No. Have you ever made out? I maybe allowed one to give me a smooch, but that was a one-time thing. Did it almost go to that point and you had to stop it? No.

01:27:01 - 01:27:04 | Speaker 4:

Wait, the guy just made out with you and then stopped right there and didn't want more? Yeah.

01:27:04 - 01:27:15 | Speaker 5:

I feel like girls have a say on how things go, and I didn't let it get any farther than that. Plus, I don't even want to think about it. That was a birthday thing.

01:27:15 - 01:27:29 | Speaker 4:

But I do agree with Mike, and I think that, Kev, you probably would agree with this, too. Don't most guys, when they're out with girls, if they're platonic friends, don't they want to make it non-platonic? Oh, yeah, for sure. I think that they're definitely looking for more.

01:27:29 - 01:27:39 | Speaker 3:

Some relationships have gone that far, especially if there's alcohol involved. Yeah, well, that's it. That's about my best guy friends, and that makes me want to throw up. No, yeah, I love that, but not like that.

01:27:39 - 01:27:54 | Speaker 4:

Listen, you get enough alcohol in me, Mike, you are the cutest guy in the room. I want you to know that. Megan, I've got the theory that's better than the imposter boyfriend. Nicole, what should all single ladies do to get hit on in a bar?

01:27:55 - 01:28:07 | Speaker 1:

Well, I don't know if it's necessarily in a bar, but when I was pregnant, I got hit on all the time. It was the weirdest thing. Even walking through the store. Do you want me to get pregnant?

01:28:07 - 01:28:08 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

01:28:08 - 01:28:20 | Speaker 4:

see the correlation here there must be you know what it is i think maybe we're all attracted to those hormones maybe that's what it is maybe you can't get them pregnant twice so

01:28:20 - 01:28:38 | Speaker 2:

that to me just screams all of the bad parts about men is like oh i want to hook up with somebody because she's already taken and then that's like like winning for me like i did it and then pregnant women is like oh i can have all this sex and not have to worry about parenting a kid This doesn't make men look good.

01:28:38 - 01:28:42 | Speaker 4:

Hey, pregnant sex is the best sex. You're experiencing that right now?

01:28:42 - 01:28:47 | Speaker 2:

I didn't say it was it. Did you miss the whole point I was trying to make? Sorry, Megan. Sorry, Megan. Uh-oh.

01:28:49 - 01:28:54 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. All right, Shannon, what you got trending in this hour is Dirty on the 30.

01:28:54 - 01:29:32 | Speaker 3:

Well, Taylor Swift and Maddie Healy have broken up after just over a month, two months. I don't even know how long they dated. It wasn't very long. Have known each other for a long time, but the dating part, very short-lived. A friend close to the situation says, yes, Taylor is single again. They were last spotted together. I think it was May 25th. It was like Memorial Weekend in New York City. The split also comes about three days after Maddie was seen smooching that male security guard at a Denmark show. So people are like, what's the reason? What happened? Scheduling. Incompatibility. I mean. Come on.

01:29:32 - 01:29:41 | Speaker 4:

It wasn't scheduling incompatibility It was either a just let's get in the news And let's get some things going Or he did something worse than that

01:29:41 - 01:29:43 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I don't know

01:29:43 - 01:29:47 | Speaker 4:

Or maybe all the negativity of the relationship

01:29:47 - 01:29:51 | Speaker 3:

And there was a lot I mean, there were like petitions For them to stop dating

01:29:51 - 01:30:00 | Speaker 5:

But how much more emotional does her song sing And deep to her song, or scene Excuse me Now knowing that she just went

01:30:00 - 01:30:08 | Speaker 3:

through a breakup. It seems like every song she sings now is a little more emotional. How great is it that we get the next shows after this? Yes. Because maybe we'll actually get something out of that.

01:30:09 - 01:30:26 | Speaker 2:

She usually does talk about everything that's going on, so we'll see. While we're talking Taylor real quick, this is worth a mention. She just shared the full track list for her album Speak Now Taylor's version, which is dropping July 7th. Collaborations on it this time around include Paramore's Hayley Williams and Fall Out Boy. You got Paramore

01:30:26 - 01:30:32 | Speaker 3:

tickets? Because I need Paramore tickets. I've been getting asked I've been getting asked By everybody For Paramore tickets

01:30:32 - 01:30:36 | Speaker 2:

And Fall Out Boy Just announced As part of this year's I Heart Radio Very cool

01:30:36 - 01:30:44 | Speaker 1:

I actually got to see Paramore and Fall Out Boy At the same concert And it was one of the best Concerts I've ever been to She is so Freaking talented

01:30:44 - 01:31:01 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to say this I'm tired of all these Good concerts coming here Because the only reason People call me now I feel like I'm a You know Ticket broker Everybody People out of the blue I go oh my god I can't believe I got a phone call from and I'm picking up the phone. Do you have tickets to Drake? It's like, all right.

01:31:01 - 01:31:25 | Speaker 2:

Actually, while we're talking Paramore, did you see, Megan, did you see this story? I think it happened over the weekend. She was playing, well, she, Paramore, but Hayley Williams was playing Madison Square Garden in New York. And she stopped the show because she thought that fans were fighting in the crowd. And so she basically stopped the show and had them kicked out, okay?

01:31:27 - 01:31:49 | Speaker 1:

I think someone might be here. Oh, no, it's a fight? F*** you! Get out! Get out! What is happening? Hi. Yes, I will embarrass both of you. Both of you need to find somewhere else to take care of that s***

01:31:49 - 01:32:11 | Speaker 2:

because that's not happening here tonight. So apparently they weren't fighting. And so she issued They were just trying to move to the front of the crowd Is what was happening There was no fight happening So she actually issued a statement yesterday I saw And she said I'm so sorry for whatever shame or embarrassment It may have caused you She's like it was wrong to call you out But to be fair she didn't know She thought people were going to get hurt

01:32:11 - 01:32:18 | Speaker 1:

Also if you're trying to get up to the front row After people have been waiting for 12 hours You deserve to get kicked out

01:32:18 - 01:33:03 | Speaker 2:

Nicki Minaj Has her first album in five years on the way yesterday she tweeted 10 20 23 the album alongside some emojis of a cd and a pink bow um this new fifth album will come five years after we got queen back in 2018 and it could this new album actually now that i think about it is going to mark her first proper release under her own record label heavy on it which she announced earlier this year so a big one for her yeah the The barbs were going crazy on Twitter. Arnold Schwarzenegger describing the moment when he told his ex-wife, Maria Shriver, that he had an affair.

01:33:03 - 01:33:04 | Speaker 3:

You idiot.

01:33:04 - 01:33:08 | Speaker 2:

And was the father of their housekeeper, Mildred Baina's son, Joseph.

01:33:09 - 01:33:10 | Speaker 3:

It's not a tumor.

01:33:10 - 01:33:57 | Speaker 2:

In the upcoming three-part Netflix documentary, Arnold, the actor said Maria confronted him in 2011 during an appointment with their marriage counselor regarding the boy who I think was in his teens at the time. Arnold says, or I should say, he writes in the book, quote, I thought my heart stopped and then I told her the truth. Yes, Maria, Joseph is my son. He said she was just absolutely crushed. In the wake of the affair, Arnold claimed to believe that Joseph, who's now 25 years old, was not actually his child due to the fact that Mildred, again, his housekeeper, was still married to her husband at the time. But he writes, the older he got, the more it became clear to me. It was then just a matter of how do you keep this quiet? The kid is like a twin.

01:33:57 - 01:34:01 | Speaker 3:

He looks exactly like her and him together.

01:34:01 - 01:34:08 | Speaker 2:

It's uncanny. Well, after he came clean about the affair, the couple ended their marriage after nearly 20 years together.

01:34:08 - 01:34:21 | Speaker 3:

I would love to know when, like, Maria Shriver looked at the kid coming over, like, with his... Well, that's what it was. It's like, um... That's what it was. And Arnold's like, I don't think so. And finally she said it. I see no resemblance.

01:34:21 - 01:34:47 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, there's a nightclub called The Woolshed in Adelaide, Australia. And they are now apologizing after running a very controversial promotion offering free drinks to women depending on their bra size with the slogan, the bigger the better. So female party goers would receive one free drink for an A cup bra size, two free drinks for a B cup, three for a C cup, and so on and so forth.

01:34:47 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 1:

What are the managers thinking? I would try and go somewhere else for sure, but I wouldn't go there. I'm not quite sure whether it's sending that type of message out. I'm not, I don't think I'm comfortable with it, nah. No, don't be like that.

01:35:00 - 01:35:06 | Speaker 2:

I get so drunk for free. They look like 36 D's to me.

01:35:07 - 01:35:10 | Speaker 1:

For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on MojoInTheMorning.com.

01:35:10 - 01:35:33 | Speaker 2:

Celebrity Dirt, directly from the source, is Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. All right, it is Mojo in the Morning show. So your son, Smith, is going to be a personality. Matter of fact, we should already just tell him, I'm locking him in as I'm going to be his agent. I know. I'll be his Norm Schrott.

01:35:35 - 01:36:01 | Speaker 1:

All right. Norm would love this story, man. So last night, we are all laying in my bed because I'm bad and I love sleeping in my bed with my kids. And also, it's way easier than bedtime and actually putting them in their own bed. So I'm a pushover. We're all sitting there watching TV And it's never normal TV anymore It's YouTube That's all my kids watch is YouTube God help any other parent Do you hate that as a parent? Oh my god

01:36:01 - 01:36:04 | Speaker 2:

Because you're just sitting there Streaming a bunch of like crappy sometimes videos

01:36:04 - 01:36:08 | Speaker 1:

Like sometimes they'll watch educational stuff But for the most part it's just crap

01:36:08 - 01:36:12 | Speaker 2:

That they watch on YouTube Do they watch kids playing video games?

01:36:12 - 01:37:41 | Speaker 1:

Kids playing Minecraft Lucy's really into ASMR on YouTube With like slime and like crackly slime They watch Mr. Beast and unspeakable and dude perfect like they watch you know all the all the same stuff right all these kids yes yeah um so last night lucy was in charge of the remote and i think she was she wanted to watch some sort of shark versus whale or i don't know what she was searching for so she goes to search for something i'm in the middle she's on one side smith's on the other side and i see in their recent searches because you can know you can see everything that they've searched for. She starts to type something in and I see the word sexy on there. I see ASMR videos, slime videos, Mr. Beast, sexy. And I said, excuse me, who typed sexy into the YouTube search looking for sexy videos? I knew exactly who it was. I knew it was Smith because Smith knows how to spell three words, no, cat, and sex. And the only reason I know how he knows how to spell sex, which I think he learned from his cousins, is because a couple of months ago when it was cold and the windows were fogged in my car, I looked back and he was writing S-E-X on his window in his car seat. So my client is Smith and she's innocent. I know it is.

01:37:41 - 01:37:42 | Speaker 2:

You're not stealing from me.

01:37:42 - 01:37:50 | Speaker 1:

So then I start, I push the record button on my phone because I'm like, I am so busting this kid. I know that it's him. No, no.

01:37:50 - 01:37:57 | Speaker 2:

Am I playing it now? I never wrote it. Hold on, let me start it again because it had to mono it out. Ready, go ahead.

01:37:58 - 01:38:02 | Speaker 1:

Wait, but why does it say sexy on there? I never wrote it.

01:38:02 - 01:38:03 | Speaker 2:

I'm looking.

01:38:03 - 01:38:04 | Speaker 1:

Who wrote it?

01:38:05 - 01:38:07 | Speaker 2:

I did not know. I did not wrote it.

01:38:09 - 01:38:27 | Speaker 1:

But who typed it in there? Somebody had to type it in there. I don't know. Smith Lyle. I did it. That's the only word you know how to spell. That's for my life I didn't. So I don't know how to smell no and oh. I do not. And I know how to smell my name.

01:38:27 - 01:38:29 | Unknown:

I know how to smell my name and I know how to smell no.

01:38:29 - 01:38:36 | Speaker 1:

So here's the best part. I go then, if you didn't do it, and I knew Lucy didn't do it, I go, who did it? And Smith goes, it was Mr. West.

01:38:37 - 01:38:53 | Speaker 2:

He tried to blame West. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. That is so funny. Oh, jeez. Do you ever now want to just go back and look and see, like, type every letter in and see what comes up first on there?

01:38:53 - 01:39:17 | Speaker 1:

Well, then I'm like, do I need to go through his iPad? Because he has an iPad. And mind you, we have, like, every parental control on that thing. But I swear, these kids are smart. Just let him. Just let him. No! Don't listen to Megan. No! We all had to do dial-up internet to get our first picture of boo. He's sick! Sick.com. No! Let him do it.

01:39:18 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 2:

By the way, a buddy of mine let his kid take the fall for the fact that his wife went onto their computer to look and see what was on there and noticed that there was some porn on there. And she instantly thought that her prepubescent son was spanking it to, you know, some kind of porn. And he let her. Uh, or he let her go yell at him and yell. And he's like, I swear I didn't do it. I didn't do it because he didn't want her to know the stuff that she, that he was doing it on the family, you know, MacBook in the, uh, in the kitchen.

01:40:00 - 01:40:10 | Speaker 4:

Which, by the way, you can't do it – I'm sorry. If you have a desktop – like, I don't know if some people have, like, a desktop computer. I don't have one, a desktop computer. But some people have them, and they have them right in their kitchen.

01:40:10 - 01:40:10 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:40:11 - 01:40:19 | Speaker 4:

And I'm thinking to myself, first off, what kid would go on and look at porn in their kitchen knowing that mom could walk in the room?

01:40:19 - 01:40:28 | Speaker 3:

13, I probably would have looked at porn anywhere. But then I'm thinking, what dad is going in there looking at porn? You got to go, you got to go.

01:40:28 - 01:40:29 | Speaker 4:

You got to go do that.

01:40:29 - 01:40:32 | Speaker 3:

Just do it in an incognito window. That's what she got to do.

01:40:32 - 01:40:53 | Speaker 4:

That's a pro. I love the fact that Smith knows how to spell just a couple of words, and one of the words is sex. Because I think boobs was my first word that I learned how to fully spell that wasn't like mom or dad. And then when you figure out how to spell it, you're like, it's B-O-B-S.

01:40:55 - 01:40:59 | Speaker 3:

Did you ever spell it on a calculator? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.

01:40:59 - 01:41:03 | Speaker 4:

Becky, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning.

01:41:03 - 01:41:04 | Speaker 2:

Hi, how are y'all doing?

01:41:05 - 01:41:06 | Speaker 4:

We're good. What's happening?

01:41:06 - 01:41:45 | Speaker 2:

I recently, my YouTube is on my daughter's phone, and it's my account. And I got a notification saying that somebody likes my comment. And it surprised me, so I looked at it, and it was an inappropriate comment that my nine-year-old had made under my profile. So I had to go through. There's a way to find all YouTube comments in your history through your, like, Google account or something like that. And I had to go through two years of comments and delete things and explain to her that, like, these things are— People think it's me bullying young children online. Oh, God. Oh, God. FBI is going to show up at your door.

01:41:46 - 01:41:47 | Unknown:

What was that?

01:41:47 - 01:41:55 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, the FBI—Jana was joking about the FBI. So what did you do? Did you have to, like, punish them and keep them from looking at it?

01:41:56 - 01:42:11 | Speaker 2:

Well, I deleted all the comments, and I told them I'd be checking them. But I just had to explain, you know, I switched careers. I'm trying to find new jobs, and people can look me up, and it's going to look like I'm saying these things to minors, you know, online.

01:42:12 - 01:42:12 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:42:12 - 01:42:25 | Speaker 2:

So, yeah, she wasn't upset that she got caught. But then when I told her that I told one of my friends about it, she started crying because then, you know, adults are going to talk to her about it. Oh, yeah.

01:42:25 - 01:42:31 | Speaker 4:

Sure. 616 says, my son was searching girls making out.

01:42:31 - 01:42:32 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh.

01:42:32 - 01:42:42 | Speaker 4:

I turned on my TV and saw it. I wasn't aware that the TV and his iPad were all connected. That's a place to.

01:42:43 - 01:42:43 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:42:43 - 01:42:45 | Speaker 4:

What's that? That's a place to start.

01:42:46 - 01:42:48 | Speaker 3:

That's a good place to start. Girls making out.

01:42:48 - 01:43:08 | Speaker 4:

Girls making out. Honestly, Girls Making Out is kind of tame compared to probably where he went to after he saw the Girls Making Out. It was probably some other ones that came into play. And then the other one, I like this one. My kindergartner is in trouble because the only word that they know how to spell, and I can't say the word, but I can spell it for you, is T-I-T.

01:43:09 - 01:43:10 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh.

01:43:10 - 01:43:12 | Speaker 4:

And they know how to do that.

01:43:12 - 01:43:14 | Speaker 3:

You are obsessed with T-I-T.

01:43:14 - 01:43:52 | Speaker 4:

what do you do if your kid goes to school and teacher goes okay pull out your piece of paper and pen we're gonna have spelling it's time now for am i the a-hole on mojo in the morning where you get to call a person an a-hole or you get to give them a little bit of advice uh we gave him an alias do you want a voice disguiser machine too or maybe voice disguiser on this or what Oh, sure Okay The alias that we give sometimes I wonder if it's a name of a guy that one of our producers has ever dated

01:43:52 - 01:43:52 | Speaker 3:

No

01:43:52 - 01:44:06 | Speaker 4:

It's not? Okay, I was wondering Because the name that you gave was Carlson We got Carlson on the phone with us right now That's your alias So if we call you Carlson, just so you know that Because we're not going to use your regular name Your voice disguised Am I the a-hole? Tell us what's going on

01:44:06 - 01:44:37 | Speaker 1:

so me and my homie have been friends for like four years um and i've always thought his little sister was cute she's like two years younger than us and you know i've never hit on her because that's my best friend but lately she's been really flirty like winks when her brother's not looking or being a little touchy playing clicky under the table and recently she texted me asking if I wanted to go out. So would I be the a-hole if I said yes?

01:44:38 - 01:44:48 | Speaker 4:

Oh. So you and your guy buddy, your homie as you called him, have been buddies for four years? That's not that long. Go ahead. Go for it.

01:44:49 - 01:44:53 | Speaker 3:

Is there a problem with you checking in with him? That's what I was going to say.

01:44:53 - 01:44:54 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:44:55 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 3:

I mean, no. He's pretty chill about everything. I just have

01:44:59 - 01:45:29 | Unknown:

Thank you.

01:45:00 - 01:45:12 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but I got friends that I would be okay with it. Like, I got good friends that I think are good people that I would be okay with it. And then I know some dogs. They're friends, but they're dogs. I wouldn't let them date my sister. Well, what kind of guy are you?

01:45:13 - 01:45:17 | Speaker 4:

Are you to your guy friend a dog? Are you a guy that always tells?

01:45:17 - 01:45:22 | Speaker 3:

If I'm being very honest, I was a dog at one point. I don't think I am now. I know I'm not now.

01:45:22 - 01:45:23 | Speaker 1:

We know you. What about Carlson?

01:45:23 - 01:45:24 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, what about you, Carlson?

01:45:25 - 01:45:28 | Speaker 1:

No, I'm the nice guy. He's definitely more of a player.

01:45:29 - 01:45:36 | Speaker 4:

Okay, he's the player. Well, that's the thing then. If he's the player, the player always thinks the worst. So you're going to have to catch some crap probably from him.

01:45:37 - 01:45:51 | Speaker 8:

Listen, this happened to me. If my friend and my brother, and I'll be real honest, if you're just open and honest about it from the front, it's going to be a lot easier than if you try to hide it. If you hide it, you're in the wrong no matter what.

01:45:51 - 01:45:55 | Speaker 3:

So what do you mean? You dated the friend or you dated your brother's friend?

01:45:56 - 01:45:57 | Speaker 8:

No, my brother dated my friend.

01:45:57 - 01:46:01 | Speaker 4:

Oh, really? And not the current girlfriend, right?

01:46:01 - 01:46:08 | Speaker 7:

No, this was years and years and years ago. And I'm assuming they tried to keep it a secret from you? They did. You have a bad taste about it? Very much so.

01:46:08 - 01:46:09 | Speaker 2:

Did it ruin the friendship?

01:46:10 - 01:46:10 | Speaker 8:

Yes.

01:46:11 - 01:46:13 | Speaker 4:

Gotcha. Why, because something that your brother did?

01:46:15 - 01:46:29 | Speaker 8:

No, I just don't think it ever works out when you try to hide stuff. Like, you burn bridges, you ruin trust, you sacrifice for it. And sometimes it pays off, and other times it doesn't.

01:46:29 - 01:46:36 | Speaker 7:

Plus, Carlson, to Megan's point, wouldn't you have massive anxiety trying to keep that relationship secret?

01:46:37 - 01:46:43 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, definitely. That's why I'm like, do I go on this date with her? Like, I don't know.

01:46:43 - 01:46:50 | Speaker 2:

See, I don't think Carlson's the a-hole, because he's even questioning it. Like, you would be an a-hole if you just went out and did it.

01:46:51 - 01:46:53 | Speaker 7:

Agree. Let's go around the room. A thousand percent agree.

01:46:53 - 01:47:01 | Speaker 4:

Let's go around the room, then. Everybody has to weigh in on this one. Mojo, not an a-hole. Shannon?

01:47:01 - 01:47:03 | Speaker 7:

I say you're not yet an a-hole. Okay.

01:47:04 - 01:47:05 | Speaker 8:

Depends on what you do.

01:47:05 - 01:47:05 | Speaker 4:

Megan?

01:47:06 - 01:47:10 | Speaker 8:

Not an a-hole unless you hide it. Then massive a-hole.

01:47:10 - 01:47:15 | Speaker 3:

Mike? Stay away from the sister. Well, a-hole. Stay away from the sister.

01:47:16 - 01:47:22 | Speaker 2:

Kev? Check in with the bro, and even if he says no, if you're really feeling it, then you're going to be an a-hole.

01:47:22 - 01:47:45 | Speaker 4:

So, KP, Lydia, thoughts on this? KP first? No, stay away from the sister. It's going to ruin everything. What about you, Lydia? What are your thoughts? Shoot her shot. Oh, wow. Okay. But it also could be, Lydia, Lydia's got some sister issues. We do not want to talk about that right now. Well, I shouldn't have said that. That was a low blow joke that now is going to require some conversation later.

01:47:45 - 01:47:46 | Speaker 2:

No, it's good.

01:47:46 - 01:47:49 | Speaker 4:

Okay. By the way, I've never seen what that sister looks like. Is she hot?

01:47:51 - 01:47:55 | Speaker 5:

No, I would say I'm the prettier sister. Yeah, there you go.

01:47:55 - 01:48:21 | Speaker 4:

Exactly. Good for you. All right, so hold on a second here, Carlson. Am I the a-hole? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Has anybody ever done this? Has anybody ever secretly dated their friend's sibling? Have you ever dated or friend's family member? We'll open it up because you may be even dirtier than that. You may be one of those people that we see on porn.

01:48:23 - 01:48:26 | Speaker 3:

I always had a buddy that had a hot mom, though, that I would joke around about.

01:48:26 - 01:48:28 | Speaker 4:

I'm telling you. What's up, Blair? How you doing?

01:48:29 - 01:48:30 | Speaker 5:

I'm good. How are you?

01:48:30 - 01:48:34 | Speaker 4:

Good. Actually, Blair is one of those. First off, am I the a-hole? Is Carlson an a-hole?

01:48:35 - 01:48:58 | Speaker 6:

No, I don't think so, especially since he's questioning it. He obviously has morals if he's questioning it, but I was best friends with my husband's sister before my husband and I started dating. Like, he had a girlfriend, so I left the situation alone. I mean, I told him that I liked him, but I didn't start dating him until after he broke up. Okay. But I was best friends with his sister first.

01:48:59 - 01:49:14 | Speaker 4:

Okay. All right. So, you know, it's funny when you get into the relationships with people that are this intertwined. I always wonder, like, when you go to family functions, what's the family function like? Yeah. Is it dysfunctional or do you guys all get along?

01:49:15 - 01:49:16 | Speaker 6:

Oh, no. We all get along.

01:49:16 - 01:49:24 | Speaker 4:

That's good, because that would suck if you all of a sudden lose family, friends, and stuff. Morgan, am I the a-hole? Do you think Carlson's an a-hole?

01:49:25 - 01:49:29 | Speaker 5:

I don't if he talks to his friends.

01:49:29 - 01:49:31 | Speaker 4:

Okay, and you speak from experience in this, too?

01:49:32 - 01:49:46 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, so my best friend since the sixth grade, I ended up dating his brother. We didn't tell him at first, to be honest. So I speak from experience. Definitely, definitely tell your friend.

01:49:46 - 01:49:51 | Speaker 4:

So your best friend since sixth grade was a girlfriend of yours that you were best friends with?

01:49:51 - 01:49:52 | Speaker 5:

He's actually my guy friend.

01:49:53 - 01:49:55 | Speaker 4:

A guy friend. Wait, did he ever want to be with you?

01:49:57 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 5:

Never had that. Wait, say that again.

01:50:00 - 01:50:04 | Speaker 2:

Say that again. Oh, we never had that dynamic. It was never more than friends.

01:50:04 - 01:50:12 | Speaker 1:

No offense, but we talked about this already earlier this morning. Every guy wants to get with the girl that they're platonically friends with.

01:50:12 - 01:50:17 | Speaker 2:

No, he wanted to get with my best friend, which is why we became good friends. Oh. Okay.

01:50:17 - 01:50:30 | Speaker 1:

Because that would be awkward, wouldn't it, if all of a sudden, since sixth grade, you had a crush on this girl, only to find out that your brother ended up dating her and got to have sex with her.

01:50:31 - 01:50:32 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that'd be a bit weird.

01:50:33 - 01:50:47 | Speaker 1:

Thank you for the call. Mandy, am I the a-hole on Mojo in the Morning? Again, if you're just tuning in right now, Carlson's best friend's sister and he have been talking, but he has not gone any further than that, wondering, would he be an a-hole if he did?

01:50:49 - 01:50:52 | Speaker 3:

I think that he would be an a-hole if he didn't say something to his friend first.

01:50:52 - 01:50:58 | Speaker 1:

um not if he said something first and what happened with your situation with your friend

01:50:58 - 01:51:33 | Speaker 3:

i have a friend that was like into my brother so she wanted to kind of you know figure that out and we talked about it and i told her like if you want to date my brother that's fine but you're not going to really be considered my best friend anymore you're going to be considered my brother's girlfriend because i'm always going to have families back over anybody so like the dynamic of our friendship is going to change and you're now going to be considered my brother's girlfriend so like if you dog my brother or if you guys don't work out that's going to change our friendship dramatically she decided not to you know what that actually

01:51:33 - 01:51:44 | Speaker 1:

is not good that's not a good situation because like I said you end up ruining the friendship that was the better thing of the two Rochelle what's going on it's Mojo in the Morning Show

01:51:44 - 01:52:04 | Speaker 2:

my husband's best friend and my husband's sister were hooking up for like a month and a half and it has it made everything so awkward like now my sister-in-law and husband's best friend like at my kid's birthday parties you

01:52:04 - 01:52:12 | Speaker 1:

could cut the tension with a knife it's terrible so um how old are you guys are you guys you sound

01:52:12 - 01:52:30 | Speaker 2:

like grown adults right yeah um my my husband's sister is 25 and best friend is 32 oh wow oh well is the age difference any kind of a problem too or no well i think it's just you don't date your

01:52:30 - 01:53:14 | Speaker 1:

brother's best friend type of thing i wonder i wonder how many times that it happens where you're younger than that and you have your friends come stay at your house and how many times like siblings have ever slept with your friends while they're having sleepovers happening yeah because i remember when i was a kid my brother tony started dating my sister's friends and i always wondered if when the friends were over i'll for some reason i always remember the girl's name colette monteleon she was like this very hot like dark complected italian girl and all i remember was my brother tony would they would sneak around and i never asked that question did you guys ever bang while there were sleepovers going on.

01:53:14 - 01:53:15 | Speaker 2:

Well, now you got to know. Yeah, we got to know.

01:53:15 - 01:53:19 | Speaker 1:

Should we call? We got to know. Hold on. Let's call Aunt Pat. Should we call Aunt Pat?

01:53:19 - 01:53:20 | Speaker 2:

Let's do it. Let's call Aunt Pat.

01:53:20 - 01:53:21 | Speaker 1:

I thought Aunt Pat would know this.

01:53:22 - 01:53:23 | Speaker 2:

Would Aunt Pat know? Does she know all?

01:53:23 - 01:53:34 | Speaker 1:

Well, I would call my brother Tony, but my brother Tony is a reputable lawyer in Chicago. And if I called Tony, I don't think he would give me the proper answer because he's not honest. But you know who is honest?

01:53:35 - 01:53:36 | Speaker 3:

Aunt Pat.

01:53:36 - 01:54:02 | Speaker 1:

Aunt Pat is honest. Aunt Pat tells the truth. She knows what's going on here. What do you guys guess, by the way? Yay or nay? Yay? What do you think, Shannon? Yay or nay? Yay. Yay? Okay. What about you, Megan? Yay or nay? I'm going to say nay. Nay? Hi, Aunt Pat. Hey, Aunt Pat. Hi. How? We're on the radio right now. Okay. Okay. Aunt Pat, we're playing a game here right now.

01:54:03 - 01:54:03 | Speaker 3:

All right.

01:54:03 - 01:54:06 | Speaker 1:

All right. It's called, Did He Bang Her?

01:54:08 - 01:54:09 | Speaker 3:

Did he bang her?

01:54:09 - 01:54:37 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Have you ever heard of this game before? They have it on the Game Show Network. I know you like watching a lot of TV. You got to go check it out. No, I never heard of it. It's hosted by Chuck Woolery. I don't know. Who are some of the game show people that host those things? It's hosted by the guy from Double Dare. Mark Summers. Mark Summers, yes. All right, here's the question. Did he bang her? We were talking about something on the air about dating your friend's sister.

01:54:38 - 01:54:38 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

01:54:38 - 01:54:50 | Speaker 1:

Do you believe that when Colette Monteleone used to come over to hang out with Tracy and you guys and have, like, sleepovers, did our brother Tony ever bang her during sleepovers?

01:54:51 - 01:54:57 | Speaker 3:

Oh, come on. Is that a yes? No, not in our house.

01:54:57 - 01:54:58 | Speaker 1:

You don't think so?

01:54:58 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 3:

What about in the backyard?

01:55:00 - 01:55:04 | Speaker 4:

Come on, do you ever think that Tony ever did something with her? Because they dated for a little bit, didn't they?

01:55:06 - 01:55:11 | Speaker 2:

Well, I think in college, yeah, they did. But you don't think that ever?

01:55:11 - 01:55:12 | Speaker 4:

There was never anything that happened?

01:55:13 - 01:55:14 | Speaker 2:

No, I don't think so.

01:55:14 - 01:55:19 | Speaker 4:

Do you ever know if Colette Monteleone and Tony ever slipped off somewhere?

01:55:19 - 01:55:27 | Speaker 2:

No, I never asked. I don't care. All right. All right. I can't believe you woke me up for that.

01:55:27 - 01:55:31 | Speaker 4:

Well, it's 8 o'clock Your time

01:55:31 - 01:55:37 | Speaker 2:

There's nothing to do today You are my icon

01:55:37 - 01:55:42 | Speaker 4:

What are you watching On television these days? Everybody wants to know

01:55:42 - 01:55:55 | Speaker 2:

What am I watching? What did I watch yesterday? Oh, I watched The Weakest Link Yesterday Oh, I didn't know that that's still on Love that

01:55:55 - 01:56:02 | Speaker 4:

yeah all right can i ask all right i'm pad a question pad you have not met kev the new guy

01:56:02 - 01:56:07 | Speaker 2:

here kev say hello to i saw him i saw him on instagram hello kev what's up i'm pad i'm great

01:56:07 - 01:56:17 | Speaker 3:

how are you i'm good now that i'm awake right question for you speaking of things that you've watched and speaking of mojo's past have you ever seen a movie called taboo too

01:56:17 - 01:56:28 | Speaker 2:

no i haven't okay i was gonna tell you all about it wait wait what is that i don't even know what it is taboo too no what is it all right if you're talking that was not appropriate

01:56:28 - 01:56:43 | Speaker 4:

i thought he was a nice kid he was talking about how he's got a like a really sweet mom that you

01:56:43 - 01:56:51 | Speaker 2:

know keeps them straight call kevin's mom it is a film so oh my god your neighbor showed you this

01:56:51 - 01:58:32 | Speaker 4:

mojo she's oh my god that's right i forgot about that is that that movie that my name oh jeez tell her pat i gotta go i'm gonna get myself into trouble i love you pat take care of yourself uh mojo in the morning show phone number 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 i want to do something kind of nice and heartwarming now on the show and Mike has the story of the day when it comes to that and it's sometimes on the show that you get to learn a lot about us and you hear some of the stories of what makes us and sometimes not all the stories are great happy nice stories sometimes the stories actually turn into some childhood drama or trauma depending on which way you like to put it and um this is nice that because i was when mike told us this in our pre-show meeting of a topic that he wanted to bring up i thought i feel so good about this i know our listeners will feel good about this so for those have been longtime listeners of the show mike who's in grand rapids he runs our 104.5 snx radio station uh while we're on the air but he's also a major part of the mojo in the morning show we all know he just had a beautiful third baby we all know the story about how amazing of a dad he is we also know that he's the sexy mexi all that well but some people might remember back when mike talked as he was going into his relationship with uh allie and getting married that mike had a kind of struggled relationship with his mother And I'll let you take it from here, Mike.

01:58:33 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 1:

I'm so hesitant about this because I really don't want to say the wrong thing or do the wrong thing. My mom and I had a falling out back when my wife and I first started dating, and it was childish behavior on my end. It was my mom feeling bad for how I grew up and me being okay with who I am, But her still apologizing for like things that she didn't do when I was a kid and and stuff like that. I'm her oldest son. And so her oldest kid. And so I think, you know, it was the first child. So she tried things. She did things. As a parent now, I fully understand that situation. And I never took it to heart or anything like that. But there was always moments where like we just didn't sink because there was so much childhood drama. and then my my father passed away um who i was very close to very very very close to and when that happened i decided um that at least i had to make sure that my daughter cecily who's now nine but at the time was probably about three um uh would be able to see her her grandmother because i never wanted to to take that away from her because i didn't have her around my my dad a lot because i was always so big i i was busy i was always busy i was always doing something so i that busy on purpose uh i i don't know i think so

02:00:00 - 02:00:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:00:00 - 02:00:26 | Speaker 1:

And so I made it, and I did just do that. And for the longest time, we would get so close, and this is why I'm so hesitant about bringing it up. And I would love to someday, when we get to this point, have her on the air and have us talk about it. But she's so scared to because we talked about her many shows ago. We talked about her, and it wasn't in good light, and it was a bad situation. But we get so close, and then we would just go back that same rabbit hole.

02:00:26 - 02:00:33 | Speaker 2:

Then just tell the good news. Tell exactly what you told us this morning and let us kind of cherish what is good going on right now.

02:00:33 - 02:00:37 | Speaker 1:

I know, but I'm sure people go through some hesitance because I don't want to ruin it. I don't want to.

02:00:37 - 02:00:43 | Speaker 2:

No, just say what you said this morning. Manifest more of what's happening by saying it.

02:00:43 - 02:01:23 | Speaker 1:

So since my son was born, my mom came to the hospital, which was huge. She was there right away. We've been in contact more and more than we have in years. and we're moving forward with our relationship. We're getting closer again. We're going on a camping trip coming up later in July. We're going on this charity walk in August. It's just doing little things here and there, seeing each other, and it isn't for like a babysitter situation or a holiday. It's just to spend time with each other, and I think that relationship is going in the way of us having a great mother-son relationship again, which is huge.

02:01:23 - 02:01:37 | Speaker 2:

So, since your children have been born, and especially now that you have a third, you and your mom have repaired the relationship that was such a struggle for a while.

02:01:37 - 02:01:39 | Speaker 1:

I think we're headed in that direction, yes.

02:01:39 - 02:01:53 | Speaker 2:

I think it's incredible. Yeah. Honestly. Yeah. I think everybody, come on, give it up. Give it up. Clap. Everybody clap. I'm clapping. All right. Megan's not. She's not sitting there clapping. Well, I know that- She's not happy for you, Mike.

02:01:53 - 02:02:05 | Speaker 1:

No, I know there's other people on this show that have that struggle with their parents, and I thought that maybe they could relate. Yeah, for sure. And if you have advice on how to keep this going or should I be hesitant? I don't even know.

02:02:05 - 02:03:10 | Speaker 2:

I think, Mike, that this is awesome, and I think that you see this a lot. I think birth and death brings families sometimes closer together. Sometimes it draws you further apart. And I think that the fact that the birth of your children and the fact that the death of your father, both of those has been an amazing healing thing for you and your mom. And the fact that your kids now can have a relationship with this woman who, listen, we all know what we were like in the past, right? You talk about it all the time, Mike. You talk about what you were like in the past and you don't ever want people to think of you like that. your mom probably similar to that you know and and i'm not going to speak for her because i don't know the situation but some you grow up and when you get older you uh you definitely hopefully make smarter choices and i think that i'm going to tell you that i am proud of you for giving it a shot and i'm proud of your mom for for being there too well thank you you ever had somebody

02:03:10 - 02:03:24 | Speaker 1:

in your in your life for though where you people like you just you want to be close to them and and they've burned you a couple times, or there's been a bad drama, and you're trying to make it right, but you're so hesitant still because you're afraid that that's going to happen still. I don't know how to get over that. You know what I mean?

02:03:25 - 02:03:41 | Speaker 2:

I think that the best thing to do is just take it day by day and live in the moment. When your mom showed up at the hospital when you had Enrique. Sergio. Why? Why? I don't know.

02:03:42 - 02:03:43 | Speaker 1:

How do you do this? I didn't even try.

02:03:43 - 02:04:00 | Speaker 2:

Emmanuel. Sebastian Sebastian Sebastian when you had Sebastian I don't even know I for you know what it is I think it's the middle name that throws me off on this one you don't have to say the middle name when you when you had Sebastian when your mom showed up what were you thinking um well

02:04:00 - 02:04:32 | Speaker 1:

there's a lot of emotions going on in that moment I think I was I was you I felt like I understood what she was going through she had three kids two at home most of the time there were step brothers and sisters too so it's kind of the same dynamic now and I understand the struggle of the first child and you're not knowing what to do. You don't know what to do, and I still don't know what to do, but the second, you kind of get it a little bit, and the third, you just feel whole. You feel complete. And this could happen with the second or even the first, but with our family specifically, it just felt like we understood each other.

02:04:32 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 2:

How is Allie as the in-law with this? Because I know that when there are issues in our family that Chelsea and I kind of take upon, you know, like when Chelsea's had issues with her biological father, you know, it made me so sad that she, you know, felt a hole in her heart for that. And then me with issues in my family with my dad and stuff, like.

02:05:00 - 02:05:04 | Speaker 3:

How is Allie with this? She's got to be very, very happy to see you happy.

02:05:05 - 02:05:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think so. I think so. She's always tried to get me to do stuff, and she's been the middle man in some of it where, like, we'll set up, like, an event or a day out or whatever it might be, and she would be the middle person to kind of set it up so that I didn't say the wrong – because there were moments where, like, if one of us said the wrong thing to each other, it would be a whole situation. And it was just constant drama for the longest time. And I had to separate from it. And I think she had to separate from me, too. And we did both grow because of it. I wouldn't change a thing.

02:05:41 - 02:05:46 | Speaker 1:

How incredible to Allie's testament that she, you know, worked so hard to help you repair that.

02:05:46 - 02:05:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, she is a saint. She's 100% a saint and somebody who is my ride or die forever.

02:05:53 - 02:06:01 | Speaker 3:

Angel, what's going on? You just heard Mike talk about how the birth of his children has brought him and his mom together.

02:06:02 - 02:06:16 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I think it's awesome. I was in a similar situation. When I found out I was pregnant, my mom did not talk to me until I was about four months along. Yeah.

02:06:16 - 02:06:21 | Speaker 3:

Why? What was she upset about or what was she not talking to you about?

02:06:21 - 02:06:51 | Speaker 6:

um i think more like i mean i was 23 still in college and i i think she was more worried about me um not being ready you know i wasn't married and eventually i mean i met somebody else and got married but um i say go for it like i mean my mom and i are very close now and um yeah just Get back with my mom.

02:06:52 - 02:07:06 | Speaker 3:

Isn't it great that grandbabies can do this, you know? You always hear the story about how much people love their grandbabies, you know? It's different than your children. And then a lot of times they feel like they need to make up for maybe what they didn't have with their children.

02:07:06 - 02:07:13 | Speaker 4:

Can it also be really hurtful that that parent is the parent that you needed as a child and didn't do it for you but did it for the grandkids?

02:07:14 - 02:07:46 | Speaker 2:

Is it, Mike? That is a – yes. Yeah, I think so. sometimes but sometimes yeah but i also then look at my son who i'm also trying to redo my own childhood through him and through my other son and my daughter and so what i would have wanted for me then yeah you are you've become is i've become and i want her to be for for him as well and it's it's it's hard at first but i feel less i feel less bad and less selfish when i i feel like I'm giving it to my kids, too.

02:07:46 - 02:07:48 | Speaker 3:

Lauren, what's happening? It's Mojo in the morning.

02:07:49 - 02:08:33 | Speaker 5:

Hi, Mike and Mojo and everybody. Mike, first of all, I'm so, so proud of you. I always hear through your voice what an amazing dad you are. And if you want to adopt a 29-year-old, I would love for you to adopt me. And the other thing is nobody ever regrets making up with their parent. They always regret not doing it. So you are doing the right thing. And if you happen to get your heart broken again, hopefully not. But always remember the key word is boundaries. Always have boundaries between you and your mom. Don't give too much too soon. Don't put your wall down too soon. You know, just take it one step at a time and just go from there. And, you know, you're talking to a girl who hasn't seen her dad in about 23 years. He went to go get milk and never came back. And I'm not ready to talk to him, but maybe one day I will. But for you, I'm so proud of you.

02:08:33 - 02:08:48 | Speaker 3:

So Megan gave the, like when you said that. And Megan, for those that don't know, has had, you know, not a great mom situation. Her mom was not great.

02:08:48 - 02:09:05 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, this topic's hard because I am really happy for Mike. But I'm hearing a lot of things that I hear from people in general when I talk about my relationship with my mom. And a lot of times I have a really hard time hearing this because I don't agree with a lot of it.

02:09:05 - 02:09:30 | Speaker 5:

and but Megan you're also a girl who's you're very tough and to you I think toxic is toxic like there's people out there that's like I don't care if you're my mom my dad my sister toxic is toxic and I'll cut you off and that's okay to be that way because you're protecting your mental peace but for the other people who are just you know want to do better and not and not that strong and they want to you know rekindle that relationship let them it's okay even like

02:09:30 - 02:09:53 | Speaker 4:

That they want to do better, like I don't want to do better is hurtful. And I think a lot of times when we say nobody ever regrets reconnecting with their parents, but they regret not reconnecting with them, I don't feel like that is necessarily a fair statement either because there are parents out there who continue the cycle no matter how many times you forgive and let back in, and that's not healthy.

02:09:54 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 3:

I don't believe there's a blueprint for everybody. Everybody's different. And that's why...

02:10:00 - 02:10:09 | Speaker 5:

I do agree. I'm glad that you said that to her on that. I also like that you said to Mike, I'm happy for you, Mike, because I think that I am.

02:10:09 - 02:10:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:10:09 - 02:10:11 | Speaker 5:

And I know you are.

02:10:11 - 02:10:23 | Speaker 2:

It's it's really difficult because I understand the lack of parental relationship. So I'm very envious that you are able to bridge that gap. But I'm also very cautious for you as well.

02:10:24 - 02:10:45 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Yeah. And you made a great point. I moved out at 16, 17 years old and I could have used, you know, my mom then. And I wish, you know, that she had done certain things then, but we have since then, you know, I've, I've grown up, you know, she's grown up and I couldn't be happier that we're moving in this direction. But I also making him very cautious, Aaron comment from you.

02:10:46 - 02:11:00 | Speaker 6:

Yes. I'm happy for you, Mike. And I understand what you're going through because I didn't have a mom growing up. And then after my daughter was born five years ago, my mom has been more in my life since then.

02:11:03 - 02:11:03 | Speaker 3:

Do we lose him?

02:11:04 - 02:11:13 | Speaker 5:

And now he's out of our life because of his phone. Aaron? Oh, boy. No, I'm still here. Oh, there you are. Okay, you stopped talking there for a second. I thought maybe – were you finished?

02:11:14 - 02:11:15 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

02:11:15 - 02:11:22 | Speaker 5:

Okay. All right. Thanks, Aaron. Aaron, thank you. It's nice to know that everything is, you know, is good.

02:11:24 - 02:11:31 | Speaker 6:

So, yeah, it's been a lot better since my daughter was born, and then it got a lot better after my ex-wife and I split.

02:11:31 - 02:12:02 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. You know, the thing I think I'm most happy for you, Mike, and the thing I think that sometimes you've got to, like, give yourself a little forgiveness on is when we got into this topic, the way that you told us this topic off the air, you were, like, confident to tell the topic, and then we went on the air, you got really unconfident because I know that you feel like you're walking on eggshells and you don't want to offend your mom. But I don't believe that you'll offend your mom by just saying, Mom, I'm happy you're back in my life right now because the way that you are right now is what I've wanted from you.

02:12:02 - 02:12:04 | Speaker 3:

And I hope it stays this way and gets even better.

02:12:04 - 02:12:29 | Speaker 1:

And that's one of the points I make, Mike. Every situation is different. I got daddy issues and all that type of stuff. But when we want something bad in life and it sounds like you want this relationship to work out, the only thing I would say is the power of your belief has to be stronger than the power of your doubt. And if you lead with belief and you lead with love, which it seems like you do with everything, then I think it'll lead you to a great place.

02:12:30 - 02:12:32 | Speaker 4:

Thank you. I like that. Thank you. Thank you, all of you.

02:12:32 - 02:12:45 | Speaker 5:

Well, I will say that in the thing with Mike, I can't finish it because he had a really good saying, so I don't know why I even talked afterwards. What you just said was perfectly said. I will push this button.

02:12:47 - 02:12:49 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:12:49 - 02:13:00 | Speaker 5:

All right, real quick. Because I wanted to make sure That we gave that enough time And that was beautiful The War of the Roses, something happened during the War of the Roses Today that

02:13:00 - 02:13:01 | Speaker 3:

I still can't figure this out

02:13:01 - 02:13:10 | Speaker 5:

We found to be very strange It's not going to be at 940 Like I said, it will be 950 And it will hurt in just a little bit I'll talk fast, okay

02:13:10 - 02:13:54 | Speaker 3:

Taylor Swift giving an emotional performance during her Chicago show One of her Chicago shows over the weekend Before we all found out about her split from Maddie Healy did this song I don't want to live forever which obviously is a very emotional breakup song and yes if you somehow missed it Taylor and Maddie are no longer after about a month of dating uh sources saying that scheduling and incompatibility were the causes for the breakup other people saying to me she honestly just needed to blow off steam and have some fun after being in a pretty hardcore and stifling is the word that I keep here being used relationship with Joe Allen. So I wanted to go out, have some fun. It was Maddie. And now it's done.

02:13:55 - 02:13:58 | Speaker 5:

Sometimes you just need to do it and not let people think that you're dating each other.

02:13:58 - 02:14:44 | Speaker 3:

And I think that she tried to keep it quiet. But the paparazzi, you know, what her friend, one of her friends made the statement of like, she goes out with somebody and all of a sudden the media is speculating that they're getting married. You know, like they just, that's how it goes zero to 100 always it's pete davidson versus pita and this is all over that new puppy that he bought the little cavapoo from a new york city pet shop called city pups pita says pete should have adopted a puppy not bought one and he was over them talking about it they were all over tmz's we love this voicemail for pita's senior vp of cruelty investigations her name is Daphna. He got her name because she had issued a statement to TMZ about this.

02:14:44 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 6:

Hi, my name's Pete Davidson. This message is for Daphna. Thank you so much for making comments publicly that I didn't adopt a dog. I just want to let you know I'm severely allergic to dogs.

02:15:00 - 02:15:26 | Speaker 1:

I have to get a specific breed. I'm only not allergic to Cavapoos and those type of dogs. And my mom's f***ing dog, who's two years old, died a week prior and we're all so sad. So I had to get a specific dog. So why don't you do your research before you f***ing create news stories for people because you're a boring, tired f***. F*** you and f*** my d***.

02:15:27 - 02:15:28 | Speaker 2:

Wow. Jesus.

02:15:28 - 02:16:05 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so he was obviously having a day. He was having a day. He is now saying, all right, maybe I was a little harsh. He was talking about how he's really feeling it for his mom. Her dog just died, and he said, I haven't seen my mom and my sister cry like this in over 20 years. I was trying to hurt my family. I was already upset that the store had filmed me without my permission or acknowledgement. And he said, then PETA makes an example of us making our grieving situation even worse. He said, look, I'm upset. It was a poor choice of words. I shouldn't have said what I said, but I am not sorry for standing up for myself and my family.

02:16:05 - 02:16:26 | Speaker 2:

I always find it interesting when people do not get a dog from a shelter and adopt a dog, how people will quickly tell them how bad of people they are. But there are a lot of people. And are there any shelters, though, that promote like allergy dogs? Like hypoallergenic? Yeah.

02:16:26 - 02:16:37 | Speaker 3:

I mean, you know what those breeds are. So if you're looking, that's what you're specifically looking for. But maybe you want a dog because you're in a situation like this and you couldn't find them. I don't know.

02:16:37 - 02:16:40 | Speaker 2:

There's anybody that wants one of those dogs. I got two of them and I will.

02:16:42 - 02:17:07 | Speaker 3:

So Chrissy Teigen says she recently decided to do one of those 23andMe DNA tests. And she did it as part of a health and wellness journey that she's on right now. said she almost had a heart attack when she found out from the results that she had an identical twin. And immediately she's like, this has to be a joke. So she decided to do a little investigating.

02:17:07 - 02:17:21 | Speaker 5:

Honestly, like at this point, I'm spiraling. I call my dad and I literally say, Dad, did you see me come out of mom? And were there two of me? He starts laughing, saying, no, I was there. There were not two of you. And I was like, are you sure you were there?

02:17:21 - 02:17:23 | Speaker 3:

So then she calls another family member to get more info.

02:17:24 - 02:17:49 | Speaker 5:

So I call my sister and I say, do I have an identical twin? She's like, oh, and her gasp, I swear to God, I was like, oh, my God, I do. I have a twin. My sister was like, Chrissy, no. Remember when you were supposed to do that show, like Finding Your Roots? And so they had us all take DNA tests and they put it under like secret names. You guys, my identical twin was myself.

02:17:49 - 02:19:24 | Speaker 3:

I was matching myself. So do you guys understand what happened? This show, Finding Your Roots, they take celebrities, they have them take DNA tests, and then they help them trace their bloodlines and analyze their genetics and stuff. Well, so they were going to have Chrissy on the show. They ran all of her DNA tests. They never ended up filming her episode, but the results were still out there under a fake name. So when she got her results, she was literally looking at herself and herself, and she thought she had an identical twin. Yesterday, Britney Spears posted a throwback photo of her son, Sean Preston, and captioned it, My first love. She's all in her feels. That post comes two days after she shared a nostalgic photo of her youngest little guy, Jaden. Not so little anymore, but that shot was from when he was like four years old. He was still being carried around by his mama. Britney turned off the comments on her Sean Preston post for whatever reason. She actually did it with the Jaden post as well, which she simply captioned with two rose emojis. No words there. But interesting timing for the post because as we learned earlier or early last week, her relationship with her sons is still pretty strained. And also these posts in the wake of the news that their dad, Kevin Federline, plans to move them all to Hawaii this summer as his wife is accepting a job at a university there. And lastly, Jennifer Coolidge, who, if you haven't watched White Lotus yet, I'm going to say this, spoiler alert, spoiler alert. She dies at the end of the second season of White Lotus. She hopes that the character of her husband, Greg, gets what's coming for him.

02:19:24 - 02:19:38 | Speaker 4:

I hope there's some comeuppance for evil Greg. He deserves some bad treatment and possibly a death himself. I think he should, I don't know, end up in a meat grinding machine. That story hasn't been finished.

02:19:38 - 02:19:43 | Speaker 3:

And in true Jennifer Coolidge fashion, she has an idea of how she can return to the show.

02:19:43 - 02:19:56 | Speaker 4:

If Tanya could come back in any form or whatever, maybe she could come back as a seagull and poke Greg's eyes out. Reincarnation. She wants to come back on the show with her reincarnation.

02:19:56 - 02:19:57 | Speaker 2:

It is a great show.

02:19:57 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 4:

It is such a good show. I can't believe it killed her all.

02:20:00 - 02:20:06 | Speaker 2:

I can't either. What were they thinking? All right. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on mojointhemorning.com.

02:20:06 - 02:20:29 | Speaker 1:

Go celebrity dirt. Directly from the source. It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the Dirty. Mojo in the Morning Show. Megan, Megan, Megan.

02:20:30 - 02:20:31 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

02:20:31 - 02:20:32 | Speaker 1:

How you doing?

02:20:32 - 02:20:38 | Speaker 3:

Good. You know what? This song makes me so happy. This was my ringtone in high school. Do you know what song this is? It's a Lady Sovereign song.

02:20:38 - 02:20:40 | Speaker 1:

Love Me or Hate Me. Love Me or Hate Me.

02:20:40 - 02:20:50 | Speaker 3:

That is the question. Love Me or Hate Me. It's an obsession. If you love me, then thank you. I used to love this song. This makes me so happy.

02:20:51 - 02:20:59 | Speaker 1:

Well, I'm picking it for you because Love Me or Hate Me, if you or her, I'm trying to segue into the thing that was not very good.

02:20:59 - 02:21:02 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no, keep trying, keep trying. Make it work, make it work.

02:21:02 - 02:21:10 | Speaker 1:

Megan is hating on some people that she used to love on because they canceled something that she loved.

02:21:10 - 02:22:58 | Speaker 3:

You guys, I don't know what it is, but I seem to have the worst luck in the entire world because inevitably if I love something, it's going to be discontinued. And this is a streak I have seemed to have for quite a while at this point. it all started and i'm still i haven't let this go and this one was like four years ago and i'm still really upset about it and if you are my dentist listening right now you don't hear this but my um favorite red bull of all time was the cranberry red bull and got replaced with watermelon and those sneaky sneaky bastards uh refused to announce that they were switching them out and if i would have known truly i probably would have spent so much money stockpiling it like that's how much I absolutely loved the cranberry one and it has happened to me again and I just found out literally yesterday that my absolute favorite favorite favorite skincare of all time has decided to cancel all of their face washes their toners their everything and they're just going back to the masks that they started with the company was a mask company that went into like facial cleansers and they've ended it i just bought amazon's entire stock 13 left in stock and you best believe i bought all 13 of them i spent so much money and then in my head i was like you know what you're not gonna have to pay for this for the next like three years this is gonna be so great yada yada yada but now i'm terrified because i went onto some forums yesterday and found out that a lot of people are selling fake versions of it online right now because everybody's willing to pay up the booty hole for it right and i think i might have just gotten scammed but all of my favorite stuff gets discontinued all of the time and it's

02:22:58 - 02:23:10 | Speaker 1:

driving me nuts what why is it that when stuff gets canceled like this that other companies don't just come up figure out what it was how to make it and say it's the same thing relabel it to

02:23:10 - 02:23:19 | Speaker 2:

something different um you don't because you're not gonna trust it though like if you have a favorites like in megan's case a favorite skincare brand that had that like you're not gonna trust a

02:23:19 - 02:23:45 | Speaker 3:

new brand i know you know what i mean here's the thing i have had the worst acne in my entire life i like i still suffer with acne it's terrible i have gone to many a dermatologist i go to a dermatologist right now and i love them this worked for me this was like the best thing i've ever found i have easily spent thousands of dollars on skincare trying to figure out what works for me And now that it's gone, I'm losing my mind. I'm so mad.

02:23:46 - 02:23:51 | Speaker 1:

I think that it's interesting when something does get canceled like the Twinkie did back in the day.

02:23:51 - 02:23:52 | Speaker 2:

That's exactly what I thought of.

02:23:52 - 02:24:09 | Speaker 1:

And people are so upset by it. And I think, when's the last time that you had a Twinkie? And they're like, well, when I was three or 13 or whatever, probably more realistic. But it's funny, though, when something like that happens, it sometimes can be the best marketing that ever happens to something. Like I will say this.

02:24:09 - 02:24:19 | Speaker 2:

No, think about Skittles. That pissed me off to no end when they made the green Skittle apple instead of lime. Yep. And they pulled a fast one on all of us.

02:24:19 - 02:24:20 | Speaker 1:

But they changed it.

02:24:20 - 02:24:21 | Speaker 2:

They changed it back.

02:24:21 - 02:24:28 | Speaker 1:

They didn't cancel the whole. I think it's when you cancel a whole product then. The example of like, you know, like Megan's skincare thing.

02:24:28 - 02:24:29 | Speaker 2:

They're discontinuing it.

02:24:29 - 02:24:49 | Speaker 1:

They're discontinuing it. I think that's when it does happen. But I also think that in certain regards, it's like when stores close down. Like Toys R Us for some reason to me Is not as good if you go to a Macy's And they've got a little section on it Toys R Us used to be the greatest thing ever To go to What were you going to say when you found out

02:24:49 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 3:

I first went on Ulta Because I needed to buy more I also found out because I was absolutely out And then I was like oh Ulta must not be carrying this line anymore And then I went to Sephora and I was like Oh

02:25:00 - 02:25:06 | Speaker 4:

Maybe they're only selling on their website. And then I go to their website, and I was like, oh, red alert. This is so bad. I can't find it anywhere.

02:25:06 - 02:25:12 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. You know what? I think that we need – what for stuff? Are you going to say what it is?

02:25:13 - 02:25:35 | Speaker 4:

Sure. Yeah. It's Glam Glow. They are known for their masks, but they had, like, a toner and a facial cleanser and an exfoliating cleanser that I absolutely loved and adored. I used their under-eye glow cream and their moisturizer. When I tell you this skincare line worked for me, it worked for me, and they're getting rid of everything but their masks again.

02:25:35 - 02:25:42 | Speaker 1:

And you know for a fact that they don't have any more on Amazon, because now that you just mentioned it and what the product does-

02:25:42 - 02:25:51 | Speaker 4:

You bought it. Yeah, no, I bought it all. But I'm also now worried that maybe the company is just going under, because they haven't tweeted since 2022. Oh, no.

02:25:51 - 02:25:51 | Speaker 1:

Well, there's a problem.

02:25:51 - 02:25:52 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah.

02:25:53 - 02:25:54 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no.

02:25:55 - 02:26:01 | Speaker 1:

That's what's going on? I don't know, but- How much product do you have, and when can we expect that you'll get more zits?

02:26:02 - 02:26:18 | Speaker 4:

That's so rude, but probably soon. Oh, you're going on vacation, too. I know. You have enough for that? Well, part of the reason I went to their website was I was trying to get travel ones for my vacation coming up. Nope, gone. Don't exist.

02:26:19 - 02:26:23 | Speaker 1:

Lisa, what's up? Lisa.

02:26:24 - 02:26:24 | Speaker 3:

There's Teresa.

02:26:25 - 02:26:27 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Teresa. I apologize. Hi, Teresa.

02:26:27 - 02:26:31 | Speaker 3:

Hi, you've got to tell Megan she needs to try the Mary Kay.

02:26:31 - 02:26:44 | Speaker 1:

So Mary Kay, you need to become a Mary Kay girl. Can you do that, Megan? Or does that make, when you become somebody that buys from Mary Kay, do you feel like you've gotten old?

02:26:44 - 02:27:03 | Speaker 4:

No, I grew up with Mary Kay products. I just, I think it had a very high, what is that ingredient that I absolutely love? Some sort of acid in it. It had a high concentration of that in charcoal, which really helped my skin, and I have a hard time finding that in other products. Well, that's why you need to buy Mary Kay.

02:27:03 - 02:27:04 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:27:04 - 02:27:08 | Speaker 3:

We have a charcoal mask. Oh, okay.

02:27:08 - 02:27:10 | Speaker 1:

Do you have a pink car? You have to.

02:27:10 - 02:27:13 | Speaker 3:

I do not, but I'm working towards that.

02:27:13 - 02:27:15 | Speaker 1:

How much do you have to sell to get a pink car?

02:27:16 - 02:27:19 | Speaker 3:

A lot. I actually didn't even know Mary Kay was still around.

02:27:20 - 02:27:22 | Speaker 1:

Lisa, Misfit Lisa, hello.

02:27:24 - 02:27:28 | Speaker 2:

Megan, you did the panic call.

02:27:28 - 02:27:35 | Speaker 1:

I think she still wows herself in the fact that you're now called a misfit. But you're a regular that calls us all the time, and you got a little misfit in you.

02:27:36 - 02:27:58 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my goodness. So I have a sister that compulsively buys, and she had lotion. I went to visit her, and she gave me a new lotion. And I opened it up, and it was like water. So my recommendation is you shake those bottles to keep it active and together. because if it sits, it's going to break down and the investment is gone. No, don't tell me that.

02:27:58 - 02:27:59 | Speaker 1:

But thank you.

02:27:59 - 02:28:00 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for the tip.

02:28:01 - 02:28:03 | Speaker 1:

Hugo, what did you want to say?

02:28:04 - 02:28:10 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Megan, I have like three cases of this Red Bull Cranberry if you want it in my place for free.

02:28:10 - 02:28:16 | Speaker 1:

Wait, really? The Red Bull Cranberry? What did you do? Did you buy all the remaining that was at every store?

02:28:17 - 02:28:20 | Speaker 2:

Well, no, they just have extra. So if you want it, I give it to her.

02:28:20 - 02:28:24 | Speaker 4:

Wait, he's went off the shelf like four years ago.

02:28:25 - 02:28:30 | Speaker 3:

I'm just kidding, Megan. I hope it never comes back. I hope it never comes back.

02:28:30 - 02:28:39 | Speaker 1:

I hope glam glow never comes back. Why, Victor, there's got to be something that you are sad is no longer. Oh, he hung up the phone. Of course he did.

02:28:39 - 02:28:43 | Speaker 4:

All he does is call in to be mean to me. Harass.

02:28:43 - 02:28:56 | Speaker 1:

By the way, I just want you to know if you do have any of that Red Bull cranberry, You could rub that on your face, and that will definitely get rid of all the acne. It will just burn it right off of your face.

02:28:56 - 02:29:00 | Speaker 4:

You're an idiot. How much? Megan, now I'm deep diving this.

02:29:01 - 02:29:04 | Speaker 3:

Acquired by Estee Lauder, and I think everything's been discontinued.

02:29:04 - 02:29:09 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I think they have. I'm really upset about that. Well, maybe there's a product from Estee Lauder. Maybe Estee Lauder will do it.

02:29:10 - 02:32:09 | Speaker 1:

So, guys, I got some kind of cool news. I got a call yesterday that I have been re-inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame. You did. I did. You congrats. I got a call from our people that work here for the company that represent the Radio Hall of Fame. And I was actually pretty excited about it. And special thanks to Kevin LaGrette and also Steve Schramm, who, you know, Steve was one of my original bosses. Kevin's one of our bosses now who actually nominated me for the Radio Hall of Fame. Now, mind you, I did not win last year and I was up against the biggest of the big. I mean, Broadway Bill Lee was like my hero, you know, growing up. And some major talent is in this Radio Hall of Fame. I grew up. up a radio nerd i was a kid that grew up in the south side of chicago and just listened to radio all day and then would sit on a stereo system with a microphone and have a cassette tape roll in just to become a radio person and then when i got an opportunity to work on the radio i never did it for a money and i never did it for be a hall of fame i did it for girls that's all i did it for so if you're uh if you're somebody that thinks that you know getting into the hall of fame is like one of my main goals in life it never was and it never is but i was told that i had to present them with an audio piece to get people to understand what i'm all about so that they would vote for me and the thing that i would say to you is if you are a girl who is that talking to the background there that's ruining my tape here right now mike you're ruining my radio hall of fame moment i could hear you in the background i'm not doing it now i'm not going to get in the hall of fame for the second year in a row because of that thanks mike i appreciate that i just want to make the tape that's it if you're somebody that votes for this and you are going to be voting for the radio hall of fame because programmers and people that you know are there just understand this if you don't know anything about me just know i love radio and even if i don't get in the hall of fame i still love radio and so that's all you have to submit a piece of audio so they actually said that they would like a piece of audio to kind of show a little bit about what your show is all about. And to be quite honest with you, if you're somebody that has to listen to a one-minute piece of audio, decide whether or not you're going to get me into the Hall of Fame. I'm not getting into the Hall of Fame, right? If you never have heard of our show, Mojo in the Morning, or know what I've done or what I'm all about, then you're probably going to vote for somebody else that you know, because I'm not one of the popular people in radio. But I will tell you this, it will never take away the fact that this is the best medium that has ever been invented and that one of the things that has made me draw so close to radio is why you guys are so close to it right now and you guys are a lot younger than I am at this and it's because we can affect people's lives on

02:32:09 - 02:32:40 | Speaker 1:

a daily basis in both positive and negative ways who knows um and we can make a difference in our communities and we do on this show and i hope that uh everybody that gets uh into the radio hall of fame also feels the same way too and isn't just a name so congratulations thank you and if i get in the radio hall of fame it's in chicago we all get a trip to chicago except for mike because he screwed up what if i tell you i was looking for audio for you

02:32:40 - 02:32:43 | Speaker 2:

Good save, good save.

02:32:43 - 02:32:57 | Speaker 1:

Mike, I will tell you this. That made it, because that's what this show is all about. There is nothing perfect about this radio show. So if you're looking for perfect, you can go listen to countless hours of this show, and you probably won't find it. Thanks for listening to us.

02:32:57 - 02:33:03 | Speaker 2:

And not your better judgment. This is Mojo in the Morning. All right. Mojo in the Morning's top trending stories.

02:33:03 - 02:34:26 | Speaker 1:

I want to do this. I want to do a quick little thing, and I'm going to keep it quick. But we gave away tickets today to go see Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Pitbull Enrique, and Ricky Martin. iHeartRadio Music Festival in Vegas, which, by the way, we'll have another shot for you at 1 o'clock. So be listening at 1 o'clock to all the stations, to Mike on SNX, to Ryan Seacrest on KISS, and to the one and only Sean Strife on Channel 955. Did you guys see this story? I just wanted to talk about this because it's so crazy. Did you hear the story about the 10-year-old boy who led cops on a high-speed chase across Michigan? The kid was driving in a, I think it was, if I'm not mistaken, wasn't it like a Chevy or something like that? So 10-year-old boy taken into custody after Michigan State police said that the kid stole a vehicle and fled from police on the interstate. Troopers attempted to stop the car, but the driver didn't stop. So what they did was they had to go to OnStar to safely disable the car. And when they did, they found out that it was a 10-year-old that was driving it who wanted to go visit his mom who was in Detroit.

02:34:27 - 02:34:30 | Speaker 2:

The video is on our Instagram if you want to see it and our TikTok.

02:34:30 - 02:34:56 | Speaker 1:

The car eventually came to a stop where the state police took the kid into custody. The kid was from the Saginaw area or was in the Saginaw area and then was sent to the Saginaw County Juvenile Detention Center. Can I just say this? I want more to this story because if the kid really wanted to see his mom and that was his reason in doing this, I want to know, do we hold this against him that he wants to see his mom?

02:34:57 - 02:34:58 | Speaker 2:

I know. That breaks my heart.

02:34:58 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 1:

And I don't know. I honestly.

02:35:00 - 02:35:34 | Speaker 2:

don't know maybe there was something worse that was going on there but yeah if you want to see your mom you'd do anything to go see your mom right and to know that they were uh you know that they weren't uh together um a whistleblower claims that the pentagon has parts of ufo spaceships and have been using the crashed alien aircraft and they've been learning about what the ufos are all about and they're using these top secret uh ufos as a way for them to be able to

02:35:34 - 02:36:02 | Speaker 1:

meet aliens when you say crash retrieval what do you mean these are retrieving non-human origin uh technical vehicles you know call it spacecraft if you will uh it's probably not the right parlance but uh no kidding non-human exotic origin vehicles that have either landed or crashed we have spacecraft from another species we do yeah how many quite a number isn't that wild

02:36:02 - 02:36:13 | Speaker 4:

can i ask what might be a really dumb question yeah why is it such top secret like when these things are found or the information that's found like why isn't it just public info like this is

02:36:13 - 02:36:30 | Speaker 2:

what's happening this is what we found it used to be even more top secret and then there were you know presidents like president obama president trump who basically said we know all this stuff I don't know. I don't know their reasoning behind it. Maybe they don't want us traveling there. Maybe they don't want us excited about the fact that there's-

02:36:30 - 02:36:34 | Speaker 4:

People are curious, and then I think that there's all this speculation.

02:36:34 - 02:38:20 | Speaker 2:

And then it leads to more curiosity and speculation. Yeah, you're right. I agree 100%. I mean, I want to know what they look like. Are they better looking than us, or are they what you see in the movies? I hope that they're ugly. I mean, I hope that they look like they do in the movies. Like, wouldn't it suck if it was all of a sudden, like, really hot guys and girls, and it was, like, going to, I don't know, Barbados or something like that, you know? Like, where everybody is, like, attractive. A couple last stories. This is one for parents. The latest social media trend is chroming. Another dangerous social media trend that is claiming to take kids' lives across the world, and it's sniffing of chrome-based paint. in the inhaling of the substances as a recreational drug. They say that the side effects are slurred speech, dizziness, hallucination, nausea, and vomiting. And the effects can last for a short period of time. Or if you get enough of it in you, it could damage your organs, including your brain, your heart, your lungs, liver, and kidneys. And they're warning parents that this is on TikTok right now and you need to talk to your kids about that. It always scares me whenever I hear about that. People that are doing certain things, they're just sitting there sniffing paint. When I was a kid, it was always glue. Remember everybody had the rubber cement, and you would try to sniff it. It was like, oh, it smells so amazing. I never did it for the high as much as I did it for the smell, but look at me now, kids. This is what happens to you. Exactly. Hall of Famer. I'm now. Not yet. I'm nominated Hall of Famer. Walgreens is debuting a new anti-theft store with just two aisles of touchable products.

02:38:20 - 02:38:25 | Speaker 4:

Did you see the photos of this? It looks stupid. It's so stupid. I would never go there.

02:38:25 - 02:38:35 | Speaker 2:

It's in Chicago. The anti-theft products, they say, are designed for people to go in there and be able to get what they need to get.

02:38:35 - 02:38:36 | Speaker 3:

No, you can't.

02:38:36 - 02:38:53 | Speaker 2:

Well, they say that you have to ask for the help to get it and go to kiosks and stuff. But it's designed to maybe cut down on some of the theft. And I think that one of the problems is they're locking up everything that is inside of the store and not locking up the people that are going into the store and stealing the stuff that's in the store.

02:38:53 - 02:39:10 | Speaker 4:

If you haven't seen these photos, think of the normal aisles like you have now. But every single thing is encased in big glass cabinets. Every single thing. The whole aisle on both sides is just one big locked glass cabinet. So you can't grab anything.

02:39:10 - 02:39:27 | Speaker 2:

If you go into some stores, like some of the, you know, the, I don't know, like, what, Walgreens and all this stuff. If you go into some of these stores, you can't touch anything anymore. Like, there's nothing. You have to ask them for help. And the problem is these stores don't have anybody helping. Like, there's nobody that's working there.

02:39:27 - 02:39:43 | Speaker 3:

So here's my question. Are the prices of these products going to be lower? Because the cost of theft is already baked into the price of products. What the companies estimate is their theft cost. we overpay for on things probably so are these yeah so what's the point of it being more

02:39:43 - 02:39:51 | Speaker 2:

inconvenient exactly they're making they're not gonna because they still have to make up for the stuff that was stolen already so they're still probably but we already pay for that so that's

02:39:51 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 3:

what always drives me nuts about these stories is like companies know how much gets stolen from them and then they bake it into goods did you hear about

02:40:00 - 02:40:40 | Speaker 4:

the Lululemon employees that got fired for chasing down a shoplifter that came into their store in Atlanta. This happened, I think, like a week or two weeks ago at a Lululemon store in a nice area of Atlanta off of Peachtree Street, which is in Buckhead, where the people came in and they started grabbing clothes and just running out with the stuff. And now the stuff all had the security tags on it. They had some way to get the security tags off. The employees, instead of just calling the police, they ended up chasing after them into the parking lot and ended up getting fired and losing their job yeah well the ceo of lululemon spoke about why people were upset that they lost their job

02:40:40 - 02:41:04 | Speaker 1:

calvin i need to ask you about the story in georgia which has made a lot of news lately where where peach tree peach tree corners georgia where in one of your stores two of your employees were fired relating to a theft that was happening in the store there was talk that they were fired because they called the cops. You say that's not true. Can you just clarify what's happened here? Because it's gone viral, especially amid this wave of retail theft

02:41:04 - 02:41:57 | Speaker 2:

that we're seeing around the country. Yeah, no, for sure. I mean, obviously, you know, retail theft and shrink has been a growing topic. In this particular case, we have a zero tolerance policy that we train our educators on around engaging during a theft. Why? Because we put the safety of our team, of our guests front and center. It's only merchandise. At the end, they're trained to step back, let the theft occur, know that there's technology and there's cameras and we're working with law enforcement. Unfortunately, in this situation, the educators knowingly broke the policy engaged with the theft the thieves across multiple points including following them out of the store so uh post investigation and the zero tolerance policy which is well known uh that was

02:41:57 - 02:42:02 | Speaker 5:

what resulted in the termination i worked i worked at lululemon they're very serious about that

02:42:02 - 02:42:09 | Speaker 3:

we did we every all retail you're not supposed to do anything you let it go yeah the problem

02:42:09 - 02:42:57 | Speaker 4:

though is in some of these cities you can steal up to $500 worth of merchandise and not get prosecuted. Well, if you knew that I'd just start looking at the price tags of it and you know, you walk out. I mean, you've got a double-edged sword going on right now in that case. I don't know. But if you do steal anything from Lululemon, I would like a size 40 ABC pants. Size 40 34 if you have it. Preferably I'd like khakis. I've been looking for a khaki. Have a great day. We will see you guys tomorrow morning for more Mojo in the Morning. More Taylor Swift tickets on Channel 955. Are you guys giving away Taylor Swift tickets on KISS and SNX too? Yes. So you can listen throughout the day. Megan, yes? I don't think so. You have Ryan Seacrest. How do you not have Taylor Swift tickets with Ryan Seacrest?

02:42:57 - 02:43:03 | Speaker 6:

I think they can go to our website, 925kissfm.com and click on contest. I believe that's their option.

02:43:03 - 02:43:07 | Speaker 4:

I love you because you don't lie. Or you just don't know.

I don't know what's going on. time on the show. I don't know.
