It's showtime. We'll be right back.

00:03:17 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 3:

good morning good morning good morning welcome to the mojo in the morning show how are you it's uh wednesday five lives tell your mom i'm only going to play you a clip of this but just to show you how angry mom gets oh my god you guys are real yeah uh it gets even worse than that uh five lies to tell your mom coming up in less than an hour from now and we have a lot of breaking dirty shannon's got that on the way we've got pink tickets to kick off the morning with, back in the day, the 5S655, Taylor Swift tickets, plus Ed Sheeran, Pitbull, and Enrique Iglesias. We're going to send you to go to all those concerts. They're not all together, by the way, although we do have the iHeartRadio Music Festival. I was looking at the iHeartRadio Music Festival because now it's yesterday, and I realized it's kind of a trend in what we're seeing nowadays have you noticed like the trend is like the huge artists from in songs from like the 90s have kind of like made a resurgence and a comeback yep like i'm looking at the artists that are at the iHeartRadio Music Festival and and then i'm thinking of the songs that we play and i think that i was i was listening uh to kp We'll be right back.

00:05:00 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 1:

this morning's overnight show on Channel 955. And I think I heard, like, four songs in a row where all the songs were songs that if you put them back in the 90s, they would have been in the 90s. Like, obviously, you know, that Metro Boomin' weekend song, Creepin'. Yeah. It was, I don't want to cry, or whatever it was. I don't want to know. Or I don't want to know. Yeah. And then there's that Hathaway What Is Love song, That Baby Don't Hurt Me song from David Guetta And then there was I heard a Flo Rida song this morning That I had not heard ever Which was the song to The Four Seasons Do you remember that Four Seasons song?

00:05:41 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 3:

Wait, what?

00:05:42 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 1:

Have you heard this at all?

00:05:43 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 3:

I love The Four Seasons

00:05:44 - 00:05:47 | Speaker 1:

Wait, how old are you?

00:05:47 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 3:

I'm 90 Are you? I am Like honestly, I love listening to Motown You know I love my Huey Lewis and the News Because my favorite show is the Golden Girls. Like, I'm going to start crocheting any day now. Yeah, man, they're shaming. Yeah. No way. No way. This is Frankie Valli. If you've seen Jersey Boys, you know what's that on.

00:06:18 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so if you look at the lineup for the iHeartRadio Music Festival, the iHeartRadio Music Festival lineup has actually got a bunch of artists that we all love that are going to be together in one place in Vegas. You've got the Foo Fighters, Fall Out Boy, who is it? Kelly Clarkson, Kane Brown, Lil Wayne, Lenny Kravitz, TLC, Miguel, Public Enemy, Cheryl Crow, Tim McGraw, oh my god, the list goes on and on, 30 seconds to Mars, and blah blah blah, and blah blah blah, there'll be some more people, the blah blah blahs are the ones on the small stage, but yeah, so that's going to be good, so we'll have a chance for you to win that, I'm trying to put off this next conversation because this next conversation is me getting scolded for something that I did. The new guy, Kev, in the short time that he has been on the show, have already gotten Kev in trouble, and now Kev's girl is not happy with me. What's the story, Kev?

00:07:31 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 2:

I'm rethinking working here because this is starting to become a bit too much. But a couple of days ago, man, you know what happened? You told the world that they were invited to the gender reveal party. I didn't tell the world that they were invited. I think we can quote it. Everyone can come. No, I did not say that. I literally think you said those exact words.

00:07:50 - 00:07:52 | Speaker 1:

Go ahead, explain, and then I'll have my defense.

00:07:52 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 2:

Well, look, I mean, that's the short of it. You literally said we were talking about the gender reveal party, and I feel like now I can't say what it is or when it is or any of that stuff because I'm going to get in even more trouble. But essentially, we went on there. We were talking about it. I'll admit I had a little bit to do with it, but I felt fully encouraged by you. I'll set you up on that one But now people are calling Sherelle Friends are calling other friends And saying yeah we're coming Because we heard Mojo say everyone's invited Wait a second

00:08:21 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 1:

So people who weren't invited are calling And saying oh I heard you're having a gender reveal party And they're now Wanting to know about their invitation And wanting to come Or literally saying we're gonna come

00:08:35 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 2:

Because we heard on the radio

00:08:37 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 3:

That's super tacky on their part by the way That they didn't receive a formal

00:08:41 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 2:

Are they close people? I didn't want to have this conversation with her I didn't want to dig deeper I just told her, look, there's a list that's going to be there There's going to be security on site They're not going to be able to get in anyway

00:08:52 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 1:

You got a security for your gender reveal party Or is the location that you're having at Has security anyway?

00:08:57 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, the security is being provided

00:08:59 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 1:

Okay What a gender reveal party Like most gender reveal parties that I've watched on TikTok need like a fire department Sometimes they set fires with the stuff that they do. So let me go back and explain this thing so that I can let everybody know that I'm being painted in a bad light here right now. I mentioned in passing, if you will remember, when we were talking about the fact that you and myself and then our girls, we all went to dinner together. And you were upset that I had invited another couple to come with.

00:09:33 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 2:

Let's not say upset.

00:09:34 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

So I mentioned in passing, I said, yeah, it was a great night. everything was fun and by the way it was pretty cool that uh chelsea got invited to a gender reveal party for you guys and she was showing me the itinerary of it and then you big mouth said yeah and we're having it here and blah you know it's like you did if you go back and listen to the podcast of it guys i'll go i'll tell you what it's listed as if you want i'll go actually get it for you and we'll listen to it together see what i mean

00:10:00 - 00:10:01 | Speaker 2:

Now you're inviting everybody.

00:10:01 - 00:10:02 | Speaker 1:

This is what you do.

00:10:02 - 00:10:02 | Speaker 2:

See?

00:10:04 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 4:

You just spit out my juice.

00:10:07 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 1:

So, and then I said, which, by the way, Chelsea's upset with me for even bringing that up, too. She was upset that I brought up the gender reveal party because she's like, you don't know if that was a surprise for, you know. And I go, well, I know it wasn't a surprise for Shirelle or Kev. They were talking about it at the table, for God's sakes. But so I'm in trouble. And I feel bad You just gotta send a good gift

00:10:33 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 2:

That's it

00:10:33 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 1:

Chelsea already got the gift I already saw it yesterday I love Chelsea She went out and bought I come home and I see baby stuff at my house And I'm like

00:10:40 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 4:

Why is that? They give you baby gifts Well I saw it

00:10:44 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 1:

I saw she's got a gift And then I go What's that? And she goes Oh this is for Cav and Cheryl And then this is for Mike and Allie For their son Enrique

00:10:52 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 4:

I swear if it's an Enrique Iglesias t-shirt I'm gonna die

00:10:57 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 1:

Actually, the funniest is going to be we're going to get an interview with Enrique when he comes with Pitbull, and we're going to tell him that you named the baby after him. Yes, do it. I will fully go along with that, and I'll even bring the baby.

00:11:12 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 2:

And the white pants.

00:11:14 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 1:

What's going on? How you doing, Autumn? What's happening?

00:11:17 - 00:11:35 | Speaker 3:

Hey, so the other day when you did say that, was it yesterday, actually? It was Monday. Oh, what is today? Anyways, so you specifically said, everyone is welcome, you're all invited. And I thought, I was like, ooh, Kev. I don't remember saying that. Thank you, Autumn.

00:11:35 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 1:

I did?

00:11:36 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 3:

I remember, yeah. Was I saying that?

00:11:38 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 1:

I was saying that tongue-in-cheek then, joking. I didn't mean it seriously.

00:11:42 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 3:

I was nervous because I was like, ooh, that's probably going to make somebody mad at that baby gender reveal.

00:11:47 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 1:

Thank you, Autumn. By the way, I apologize to you, Kev, but most importantly, I apologize to Sherelle because I did say on Monday that if Kev ever does anything wrong in that relationship, he's going to die. Guess who I think is going to be the first person to die? Autumn, have you ever been not invited to something and then heard about it in passing from other people?

00:12:12 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah, definitely. And it, oh, that sucks.

00:12:15 - 00:12:53 | Speaker 1:

And I feel bad because I do feel bad because this is something new to Kev is the whole idea that it's kind of like having a big megaphone being on the radio here when we talk about stuff because people will hear things and then everybody just assumes oh why am I not part of that or like when we talk about this happens to me all the time Autumn I'll say yeah so last night a group of us guys went out for dinner and when I do that then some of the guys who I'm friends with they were like wait why wasn't I invited a group of guys I should be part of the group you know And it becomes one of those things.

00:12:55 - 00:12:58 | Speaker 3:

And not all of us were even invited in the first place.

00:12:58 - 00:13:00 | Speaker 1:

That's true. To the gender reveal?

00:13:00 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 3:

Mm-hmm. Well, Mojo did invite us, so we are all right. Yeah.

00:13:06 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 1:

What are you getting for a gift, Megan, now that you know that you're invited?

00:13:09 - 00:13:11 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I wasn't invited. No. He gets no gift.

00:13:11 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 1:

I invite everybody. I'm more inclusive than Kevin is. See, the gender reveal is going to...

00:13:16 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 3:

I'll bring a gift.

00:13:17 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 1:

Go ahead.

00:13:18 - 00:13:22 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to bring a gift for Mojo, too, just because he's going to be in the

00:13:22 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 1:

Thank you for the call, Autumn. I appreciate you.

00:13:29 - 00:13:29 | Speaker 3:

Thank you.

00:13:29 - 00:13:39 | Speaker 1:

Bye. All right. Take care of yourself. Again, there you go. There's the proof there that this show is really not a good show to be on.

00:13:41 - 00:13:42 | Speaker 3:

Causes all sorts of issues.

00:13:42 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 1:

It does cause a little bit. But I do have, listen, I have to say that, you know what? Get it out of the way, Frast.

00:13:51 - 00:13:52 | Speaker 2:

Why? Get what out of the way?

00:13:52 - 00:13:55 | Speaker 1:

Get the in trouble, getting in trouble out of the way fast.

00:13:55 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 2:

And get used to it because it doesn't stop.

00:13:59 - 00:14:17 | Speaker 1:

And to be quite honest with you, if you know, I always said that our show is about making people laugh, making people cry, or poking them in the eye. I just happened to have poked a little bit too much. Was it tough at home yesterday when that got brought up?

00:14:17 - 00:14:32 | Speaker 2:

It was all right. But Sherelle, she has a very interesting way of getting mad. It's just like a silent killer. Oh, she just kind of like, oh. You see the cold shoulder? Yeah, cold eyes. She has like big one-liners that last the whole night. And you're thinking like, damn.

00:14:33 - 00:14:40 | Speaker 1:

What do you do then? Do you try to be the comedian and try to make her laugh? Or are you like the tickler? Like I tickle you just to kind of get you giggle? Yeah. Wait, what?

00:14:40 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 2:

Wait, stop.

00:14:41 - 00:14:45 | Speaker 1:

You kind of get in there and you're kind of like, ah, come on.

00:14:45 - 00:14:49 | Speaker 2:

If I'm mad, the last thing I want Wes to do is tickle me.

00:14:49 - 00:14:53 | Speaker 1:

Well, sometimes you got to just kind of break the ice a little bit. That's like breaking the ice.

00:14:54 - 00:14:55 | Speaker 2:

I will punch you if you do that.

00:14:55 - 00:14:57 | Speaker 1:

So she gave you the eyes.

00:14:57 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 2:

It used to be this movie called Notorious.

00:15:00 - 00:15:19 | Speaker 5:

The guy was like, it was like Biggie Smalls, like documentary style type movie. And there's a scene in there where Biggie Smalls is trying to get in good graces with Faith Evans. And in order to do it, he like beatboxes. He's like, he like smiling because he know that gets her. And it works once. But the second time, it does. I know people. It's kind of like with Sherelle.

00:15:19 - 00:15:21 | Speaker 4:

Ari, what's happening? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:15:22 - 00:15:43 | Speaker 9:

Hey, good morning, guys. So I just wanted to tell Kev, welcome to the show. But you're going to have to learn. So I would say that Mike has learned. He's gotten much better. Mojo has learned. He's gotten much better. Has he? Well, for his relationship with Chelsea, I believe that they communicate and they talk about what he wants to talk about. Or, you know, like they have that communication.

00:15:44 - 00:15:45 | Speaker 4:

Well, exactly.

00:15:47 - 00:15:49 | Speaker 9:

We're not as blindsided, okay?

00:15:49 - 00:15:59 | Speaker 4:

Actually, Ari, here's the story. We all like to have each other here as a group of friends because we like the wave of, okay, it's not my week to get in trouble. You know what I mean?

00:15:59 - 00:16:00 | Speaker 5:

Take turns. True.

00:16:01 - 00:16:25 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. But so we kind of like, honestly, Mike is sitting over there in the corner basking in the fact that, oh, I ain't part of this whole thing. I ain't having to deal with the pain of screwing up or getting somebody in trouble. My wife's happy today. All right. Thank you for the call, Ari. And thank you for the nice welcome for Kev. You're welcome. Have a good morning, guys. Take care. Bye. How smart are you?

00:16:26 - 00:16:32 | Speaker 7:

It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events, and you tell us what year it happened.

00:16:33 - 00:16:40 | Speaker 4:

This for pink tickets, it's a chance to win. Remember when Steve Iserman was made the general manager of the Red Wings?

00:16:40 - 00:16:46 | Speaker 1:

Well, obviously, Ken, I'm very excited. I'm thrilled to come back to the organization. Still a lot of familiar faces here.

00:16:46 - 00:16:56 | Speaker 4:

After building the Stanley Cup champion, Tampa Bay Lightning, we finally got him back, and hopefully he can build us back, too. The hit movie, Hustlers, was released.

00:16:57 - 00:17:01 | Speaker 3:

The game is rigged, and it does not reward people who play by the rules.

00:17:01 - 00:17:14 | Speaker 4:

Actually, was it really a hit? Robbing the bank, except you get the keys. J-Lo and Cardi B in that one, and Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes. Senorita was on the radio.

00:17:16 - 00:17:24 | Speaker 8:

In what year did that crap happen?

00:17:24 - 00:17:30 | Speaker 6:

Call us at 844-MOJO-LIVE to tell us. 844-665-6548.

00:17:31 - 00:17:40 | Speaker 1:

Manager. Well, obviously, Ken, I'm very excited. I'm thrilled to come back to the organization. Still a lot of familiar faces here. People that, you know, were here as long as I was.

00:17:40 - 00:17:45 | Speaker 4:

Steve Iserman. Hustlers with J-Lo and Cardi B in it was in theaters.

00:17:46 - 00:17:54 | Speaker 3:

The game is rigged, and it does not reward people who play by the rules. It's like robbing a bank, except you get the keys.

00:17:54 - 00:18:15 | Speaker 4:

The big song. What year was that? Let's go to Mallory. Hi, Mallory. What year was that?

00:18:16 - 00:18:16 | Speaker 10:

2019.

00:18:16 - 00:18:18 | Speaker 4:

Yes, it was. Congratulations.

00:18:19 - 00:18:20 | Speaker 10:

Oh, my gosh. Thank you.

00:18:20 - 00:18:21 | Speaker 4:

What gave it away?

00:18:22 - 00:18:25 | Speaker 10:

Definitely, Senorita. That song was on replay every time I got in the car.

00:18:26 - 00:18:30 | Speaker 4:

It's such a good song still. I love listening to it. Congratulations. You're going to see.

00:18:30 - 00:18:31 | Speaker 10:

Thank you so much. Pink.

00:18:32 - 00:18:34 | Unknown:

I'm so excited.

00:18:34 - 00:18:37 | Speaker 10:

Thank you, guys. I listen to you every morning on the way to work. I love you guys.

00:18:37 - 00:18:45 | Speaker 4:

Oh, we love you, too. Thank you. We love you, too. Thank you for listening, and enjoy the concert. We've got, like, a great week of ticket giveaways.

00:18:45 - 00:18:48 | Speaker 10:

Oh, my gosh. I'm so excited. I can't wait. Thank you guys so much.

00:18:49 - 00:18:57 | Speaker 4:

Pink's going to be at Comerica Park. So good luck on winning those Taylor tickets. That could be coming up very soon.

00:18:58 - 00:19:00 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:19:01 - 00:19:15 | Speaker 4:

All right. Get a look at what's trending right now in the Dirty on the 30, which, by the way, if you ever miss the Dirty on the 30, you know you can listen to the podcast anytime. Matter of fact, even right after this gets done, Shannon, it will be up on our podcast.

00:19:16 - 00:19:36 | Speaker 2:

Sure will, yep. Let's start off with this. Taylor Swift's now ex-boyfriend, Matty Healy, was on stage in Vienna with his band, The 1975. And he saw a bunch of signs in the crowd from his fans that said things like, You are loved, or we support you. And he actually stopped the show to acknowledge that.

00:19:37 - 00:19:40 | Speaker 7:

The front had some very beautiful signs that said, You are loved.

00:19:41 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 8:

That was very, very kind of you. I'm sure that it's alluding to, as you are aware, I'm not very online at the moment, and I'm sure people have just been calling me a **** relentlessly. And I've not been online, but what I have been with is with.

00:20:00 - 00:20:09 | Speaker 1:

my boys and honestly, as much as I appreciate that, it's so beautiful and I thank you, but I don't need it because I've got them.

00:20:09 - 00:20:14 | Speaker 4:

His ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift at Ford Field Friday and Saturday.

00:20:16 - 00:20:20 | Speaker 2:

Interesting. Obviously no mention of Taylor in that one.

00:20:20 - 00:20:24 | Speaker 4:

But he alluded to, you know, I'm not online because obviously, you know,

00:20:24 - 00:20:30 | Speaker 2:

yeah, nothing. And later this morning you got another Sighting of another guy With Taylor Swift

00:20:30 - 00:20:33 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely An athlete This time around

00:20:33 - 00:20:38 | Speaker 2:

Talk about that She's going The Kardashian way With an NBA player

00:20:38 - 00:20:47 | Speaker 4:

She is Yeah This poor girl Can't be seen With a man ever I know Even if they were like Going to get You know Starbucks They're getting married That's it

00:20:47 - 00:20:55 | Speaker 2:

Although if you're going To get Starbucks With Taylor Swift You think that They gotta have Some kind of a Even a big friendship Like people just don't go

00:20:55 - 00:20:57 | Speaker 4:

It's not just some random Yeah You know what I mean

00:20:57 - 00:21:04 | Speaker 2:

But I guess, you know, this one was more, you know, this one's not hanging out at her concert type thing. Yeah, yeah.

00:21:05 - 00:21:37 | Speaker 4:

An L.A. federal court judge has sided with Dua Lipa and her label, Warner Records, ruling that there is insubstantial evidence that Dua broke copyright laws with her song, Levitating. We've all heard this song a jillion times. It's a great one. Well, there was this Florida reggae group called Article Sound System that alleged levitating copied the hook from their 2017 song called Live Your Life. Listen to that.

00:21:45 - 00:21:49 | Speaker 2:

How did Dua Lipa win this case?

00:21:49 - 00:21:53 | Speaker 4:

Right? The judge said, no, what? I don't hear it. How?

00:21:54 - 00:21:58 | Speaker 2:

That to me is like bigger than the Ed Sheeran, Marvin Gaye one.

00:21:59 - 00:22:16 | Speaker 4:

Agreed. Agreed. And the band has said, you know, our song, we might not be like super famous, but the song is widely available. I mean, you can hear it anywhere. And he's like, the person who was the spokesperson for the band said, the levitating writers could have easily heard it and then created levitating. But nope.

00:22:16 - 00:22:29 | Speaker 3:

I just watched something recently that was like, if all of these people start winning these lawsuits, we're never going to have new music. We're actually going to run out of things to do. Like, there's not enough music notes and chords. Chords or progressions or whatever.

00:22:30 - 00:22:37 | Speaker 1:

I think that's how Ed Sheeran won his, is because that's what he said. There's only a certain amount, like four of them? Yeah. Or something like that that's in every pop song.

00:22:37 - 00:22:45 | Speaker 2:

But I think that there's a difference between the chords and that whole beat just seems, and everything just seems very similar, doesn't it?

00:22:45 - 00:22:47 | Speaker 3:

Didn't Vanilla Ice win against Queen?

00:22:48 - 00:22:55 | Speaker 1:

No, I think he asked them for it. Didn't he? No. No, no. Really? Yeah, yeah. There was like a drum or something. There was something different.

00:22:55 - 00:22:56 | Speaker 3:

There was one extra bass note.

00:22:56 - 00:23:16 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I mean, he should have paid for that, right? That was their song. I mean, it was blatantly ripped out. I mean, it's like, honestly, half the songs that we were talking about when we started the show, half the songs we're playing are basically the original versions of the songs. And recently, I think the Marvin Gaye estate won against Robin Thicke and Pharrell from Blair Lines. Yeah, a couple years ago. That was a lot of money

00:23:16 - 00:23:54 | Speaker 4:

Pope Francis in the hospital earlier this morning For surgery on his intestine Two years after he had like 13 inches of his colon removed Because of some really bad inflammation Thank you for this music The Vatican said Pope Francis Who's 86 years old by the way Was put under general anesthesia He's going to be hanging out in the hospital For the next couple of days 50 Cent hosting a big dinner At the Brooklyn Chop House's Times Square location and is in the dirty because he left a $1,000 tip on the bill, ordered every item on the menu, stayed until the restaurant closed, but apparently treated the staff like kings and queens.

00:23:55 - 00:23:56 | Speaker 2:

Good for him.

00:23:56 - 00:24:40 | Speaker 4:

And lastly, if you are a potty mouth, some good news for you. With Apple's new iOS 17 operating system, you can now cuss via your iPhone keyboard, and it's not going to change it. Apple unveiled its newest operating system on Monday at that Worldwide Developers Conference showing off how its word correction and prediction system has been improved. So if your phone decides that a word needs correcting, a line will appear under the corrected word allowing you to simply tap on it to get back to the original version. So now, you know how ducking is usually swapped in for the special F word that supposedly will not happen anymore because iOS 17 will catch on to your typing habits and your potty mouth over time. I think it's available in September.

00:24:40 - 00:24:52 | Speaker 2:

You know what's amazing is that if you verbally do talk to text, it always types it. It does it. But it's weird that the typing doesn't do it. It cracks it back to dunk. I never understood why they have the differentiation of that.

00:24:53 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 4:

Five lies to tell your mom.

00:29:45 - 00:29:46 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Maddie.

00:29:47 - 00:29:48 | Speaker 3:

Hi.

00:29:48 - 00:29:53 | Speaker 1:

That hi was like a, hi, I'm about to ruin my relationship with my mother.

00:29:54 - 00:29:55 | Speaker 3:

It's a nervous hi.

00:29:56 - 00:29:57 | Speaker 1:

Are you ready for this?

00:29:57 - 00:29:58 | Speaker 3:

I think so.

00:29:58 - 00:30:11 | Speaker 1:

So five lies to tell your mom. Anybody that's never heard it before, we come up with the lies. Maddie is 25 years old. You live with your mom. I understand that your mom is a beautiful lady, right?

00:30:11 - 00:30:12 | Speaker 2:

Gorgeous lady.

00:30:13 - 00:30:16 | Speaker 1:

I also understand your mom is a very protective mom like she should be.

00:30:17 - 00:30:20 | Speaker 2:

Yes, very, very protective.

00:30:20 - 00:30:28 | Speaker 1:

And how would she feel about you taking all your savings and going away with some dude that she doesn't like?

00:30:29 - 00:30:32 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. I think she would disown me.

00:30:32 - 00:30:33 | Speaker 1:

What's this guy's name?

00:30:34 - 00:30:35 | Speaker 2:

His name is Will.

00:30:36 - 00:31:04 | Speaker 1:

Lie number one, you're going to say, Will and I are going to go to Mackinac. Okay. Lie number two. Say we put down a big deposit. Okay. Lie number three, but it was a fake hotel. Oh, my gosh. Lie number four. And now I am out of money. And line number five, can you loan me three grand?

00:31:05 - 00:31:09 | Speaker 2:

She's going to kill me. She's going to curse. She's going to call me very unkind work.

00:31:09 - 00:31:10 | Speaker 1:

Let's call her up.

00:31:10 - 00:33:44 | Speaker 2:

All right. Hello. Hey, Mom. Yes. It's Maddie. Yes. Do you have a minute? Yeah, what's up? Okay, I'm kind of freaking out. I need to talk to you about something. Okay, what's up? So Will and I decided to take a trip to Mackinac in this upcoming weekend, and we had to put down a deposit for the Long Weekend Hotel. Okay. And I just got an email saying that the hotel is not real. Okay. I don't know. He's the one who found the hotel. I put my credit card in because it was a big deposit, and I'm really freaking out about it because I have no more money left because they took all our money. Okay, you have to call the bank right now, and you have to decline that charge. You put it on your credit card or your debit card? My credit card. Okay, call the credit card company right now and decline the charge. I mean, basically, I need $3,000 to cover it. Oh, my God, Maddie. Mom, I'm sorry. Okay, why would you do something like that? Because I wanted to have... It doesn't matter. No hotel would ask for a $3,000 deposit. But we're going to Mackinac. It's the Grand Hotel. We wanted to get a nice room. We wanted to enjoy the last, you know, the school year is done. We wanted to enjoy that. Call your credit card company, cancel that charge, and cancel the room. And what do they mean that's not a real hotel? We tried booking the Grand Hotel, and he's the one who sent me the link and the website to do it because I'm good at that stuff. And I guess it wasn't the actual Grand Hotel. It was some jam or steak. Did the church already go through? Yeah. For $3,000? Mm-hmm. I'm sorry. How much was the weekend going to cost? It was, like, $3.50 a night, but we got, like, upgrades and fancy. So it was going to be $3.50 a night, and you guys were going to split that? Well, he said he couldn't because he had to pay for student loans. Maddie. Call the credit card company right now. Okay. Okay, bye. Bye. Bye.

00:33:47 - 00:33:48 | Speaker 1:

All right, let's call her back.

00:33:49 - 00:33:50 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

00:33:50 - 00:33:59 | Speaker 1:

And we'll call her with the person from the credit card company and the person from the Grand Hotel, which is the Granite Hotel.

00:33:59 - 00:34:01 | Speaker 2:

The Granite Hotel. Yeah. Okay.

00:34:01 - 00:34:11 | Speaker 1:

You can be the credit card lady, Shannon, and I'll be the Granite Hotel. Maddie, tell them that we got both on the phone.

00:34:12 - 00:34:31 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Hello. Mom, it's Maddie. Hi. I know. No, I have the credit card company on the line, and I also have the people from the hotel on the line. Okay. And they're telling me that I can't get the money back because the money already went through.

00:34:31 - 00:34:32 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

00:34:34 - 00:34:44 | Speaker 2:

Did the hotel say you had a reservation? They did. I guess I misread the information. It's not the Grand Hotel. It's the Granite Hotel.

00:34:45 - 00:34:45 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

00:34:46 - 00:34:47 | Speaker 1:

Hello?

00:34:47 - 00:34:49 | Speaker 2:

Hello, I'm Harry.

00:34:49 - 00:34:53 | Speaker 1:

Hi, how are you doing? This is Harry, Harry from the Granite Hotel.

00:34:53 - 00:35:06 | Speaker 2:

Okay, Harry, thank you very much for speaking with me. Yes. Okay, so you were the one that put through the charge, correct? Yes, we have a room here for Maddie and Will, and it's a beautiful room.

00:35:06 - 00:35:12 | Speaker 3:

Okay, hold on one second. Where are you located?

00:35:13 - 00:35:15 | Speaker 2:

We are not on Mackinac Island.

00:35:16 - 00:35:16 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:35:16 - 00:35:24 | Speaker 2:

We are kind of just off of the island a little bit, like 300 miles off of the island.

00:35:27 - 00:35:37 | Speaker 3:

Maddie, did you know that? I didn't. so you're 300 miles from mackinac yeah it's a beautiful place though

00:35:37 - 00:35:50 | Speaker 2:

i thought we were in mackinac um and so we already we already spent the money so we already did it and i actually uh have the the people from the credit card company here on the phone to confirm

00:35:50 - 00:36:02 | Speaker 3:

00:36:02 - 00:36:04 | Speaker 2:

$3,000. Ma'am,

00:36:05 - 00:36:13 | Speaker 1:

the $3,000 is actually it's not pending anymore that the service on our end has already been rendered, so we can't resolve the dispute.

00:36:21 - 00:36:22 | Speaker 2:

Mom? Ma'am?

00:36:23 - 00:36:31 | Speaker 3:

Yes. Do you still need me on the line? I guess not Thank you very much We may be calling you back Thank you

00:36:31 - 00:36:31 | Speaker 2:

Mom

00:36:31 - 00:36:33 | Speaker 3:

Yeah Yeah

00:36:33 - 00:36:35 | Speaker 2:

This is the Mojo in the morning show calling

00:36:35 - 00:37:25 | Speaker 3:

Oh my god You guys are real assholes Let me tell you that right now Oh my f***ing God Mom Because I am about to lose my s*** on my 25 year old daughter You are all so ridiculous I can't even Oh my god I'm about ready to try to figure out how I'm going to explain to my husband how my ridiculously stupid daughter is spending $3,000 on this boy that she's only known for four weeks. Plus, we're going to have a little conversation about sex and stuff like that, and she doesn't need any f***ing fancy soaps and towels. What the hell? Oh, my God. Okay, well, I have to go step in the hall, and I have to go grab the AED to resuscitate my heart.

00:37:25 - 00:37:26 | Speaker 2:

Uh-oh.

00:37:26 - 00:37:32 | Speaker 3:

And then I will come back, and I hope she gets a really great prize for this, because she's given it to me.

00:37:32 - 00:37:34 | Speaker 2:

Actually, you get the prize, Mom. You get the prize, Mom.

00:37:37 - 00:37:46 | Speaker 3:

I love you, Mom. Yeah, no, you don't love me. Well, wait. I do love you. You do love me, but you don't like me right now, because you would never have done this to me.

00:37:46 - 00:37:46 | Speaker 2:

Mom.

00:37:46 - 00:37:48 | Speaker 3:

No, I would, yeah.

00:37:48 - 00:37:50 | Speaker 2:

Have you ever heard five lies to tell your mom before?

00:37:52 - 00:37:54 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I have.

00:37:54 - 00:37:57 | Speaker 2:

And have you ever laughed when you heard five lies to tell your mom?

00:37:59 - 00:38:02 | Speaker 3:

No, I felt huge, huge pain for those mothers.

00:38:02 - 00:38:03 | Speaker 2:

Ah, come on.

00:38:04 - 00:38:14 | Speaker 3:

I'm lying. That was one lie to tell my daughter. I'm going to go fart on her pillow when I get out. It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:38:16 - 00:38:17 | Unknown:

Sweet.

00:38:18 - 00:38:19 | Speaker 1:

Five lies to tell your mom.

00:38:20 - 00:39:49 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the Morning show. So yesterday I had a frantic day, frantic because I had a few things here at the radio station to take care of. And then I got the alert on my phone. I got the alert from FedEx that a package was going to be delivered to my house. And I can talk about this now because of what happened, but it was a package that I did not want Chelsea to see. Not that it was for her. It was for me. What was it? Chelsea, my wife, and I have this thing now with each other where I have never, ever told her, like, you know, you can't buy this. But I have said, hey, maybe we need to slow down on this. And she has done the same with me. Chelsea thinks that I have been over-ordering and buying golf clothes. And as you guys can tell, that it's pretty much like all I'll wear usually is like golf shirts and stuff, you know, golf, you know, quarter zips and things like that. So I found something that I was like, oh, my God, I really like this. I actually really like the thing. And she has to do this. I don't know if you ever have to do this with your fiancee, Wes, or, you know, if Kev, your girlfriend, Sherelle, does this with you or Mike Allie does this with you, your wife. Chelsea has said to me, all your clothes look the same. She's like, everything looks the same, and you're overspending. And I'm a guy that does this because I'm a bigger dude. If I find something that fits and I feel like I look good in, I buy every color that they have of it.

00:39:49 - 00:39:49 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:39:50 - 00:42:11 | Speaker 2:

And so yesterday I actually put an order in, or not yesterday, but a few days ago. And I knew that because I have the FedEx tracker. thing on my phone where it texts me and tells me when they're coming. And I saw that they were going to be delivering between 12 and two. So I had to race out of the studios here. I had to get home to get that package before Chelsea could see it. Well, FedEx screwed me. I show up at home at 11 something or another. I walk in the house. Chelsea is not home because I knew she was going to be out for the afternoon they delivered it at 9 a.m what they finally had fast delivery and it came early and they delivered it and the reason i knew that it was delivered was chelsea had opened the box and laid everything out nicely for me so that i could see the thing and also to say exactly you are busted my friend right yes busted you're busted for that one was it the one drop you're busted i think we have that drop that plays in one of our sweepers from time to time um so i got like completely screwed on this one and i was having a conversation with a uh a neighbor friend of mine who told me and i didn't realize this that my wife chelsea will do this from time to time you know she will order things and she's not afraid to order what she wants to order i mean obviously i i don't think i am too but you don't want each other to know that you did this So she will actually have our neighbor, Britt, go to the house and get packages that are delivered when Chelsea's not home, knowing that it will make me upset over the fact that there's another couple, like, five or six packages that get delivered. I'm telling you, I know our UPS driver's name. I know kind of our FedEx driver's name. And honestly, I've seen the same faces that are Amazon delivery people, which you should not know your Amazon people because Amazon's 8,000 of those people, you know, so they come deliver to your house. I wanted to ask this question. Are there any other listeners that, or any of you guys that have ever had to hide your packages? You know, you've heard the old, uh, hide your wife, hide your kids, hide your purchases,

00:42:11 - 00:42:24 | Speaker 4:

hide your packages. I used to have a doormat when I was married that said, please hide packages from my husband. So it was right on there. It was always there. Nobody played along. They thought it was funny, but nobody played along.

00:42:24 - 00:42:27 | Speaker 2:

They call this financial infidelity, by the way. Did you know that?

00:42:27 - 00:42:48 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. This happens with Sherelle. She doesn't hide the packages, but she shops way too much. And she's color-coded her entire side of the closet. Her thing is blue jeans. She has like 35 pair of blue jeans. And I feel like they're all the same So whenever she comes home She's like trying to sneak shopping bags So I don't say Oh you're at the mall again?

00:42:48 - 00:42:49 | Speaker 2:

Yeah

00:42:49 - 00:42:50 | Speaker 1:

Are there blue jeans in the bag?

00:42:51 - 00:42:55 | Speaker 2:

Actually if you go in her closet Would you even know That a new pair was bought? Or purchased?

00:42:55 - 00:43:03 | Speaker 1:

They're literally I'm telling you They're literally like 20 to 25 of the same blue jeans on it They're taking up a whole Like little section I'm exactly like that

00:43:03 - 00:43:03 | Speaker 2:

They all fit a little different

00:43:03 - 00:43:05 | Speaker 4:

I get this

00:43:05 - 00:43:17 | Speaker 2:

I would love to know How do you hide your deliveries? Because I would love to find out somebody's you know little clues and tips that they do y'all are amateurs what do you do you

00:43:17 - 00:43:27 | Speaker 3:

send it to work you leave it in your truck or your trunk and then you get to bring it in whenever your significant other isn't there i cannot talk today what is happening

00:43:27 - 00:43:37 | Speaker 2:

it's because you are spewing bad things for people yeah actually megan i can't do that here at the station because nobody's downstairs to get the packages they won't just leave it

00:43:37 - 00:43:38 | Speaker 3:

Don't leave it here.

00:43:38 - 00:44:33 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Somebody will end up stealing it. It will go home with Tony Travato or something. He'll take my size 2X shirt home with him, and I'll be seeing him wearing it to work the next day. Here are, by the way, the number one and most common things purchased by men and the most common purchased by women, things that they hide from their spouse. For guys, electronic devices, guys, other ones that are interesting, alcohol, gambling stuff. These are purchases that they're spending money on that they don't want their spouse to know about. Hobby-related purchases like golf or fishing. And then fast food. That's things that guys will hide. Here's women's. Clothing, gifts for friends, cosmetics, home decor, and then fast food is also on that list. I see that shoes actually got beat out by fast food.

00:44:33 - 00:45:02 | Speaker 4:

I will also say prices of stuff. Like my little sister, she shares my TJ Maxx Home Goods Marshalls obsession. And sometimes you can find like designer, designer purses at like TJ's. And so she bought this great, great bag the other day. And she's like, I have it on the kitchen table. So when you come over and come in, she's like, if Ryan is home, just don't say anything about the bag being an expensive bag because he thinks it costs like $29. And I was like, okay, I got it. I got it.

00:45:02 - 00:45:04 | Speaker 2:

And you have to make sure you hide the receipts, too.

00:45:04 - 00:45:06 | Speaker 4:

Yes, take off the tag, hide the receipt.

00:45:07 - 00:45:08 | Speaker 2:

Kelsey, what's going on?

00:45:09 - 00:45:10 | Speaker 4:

Hi, I'm doing good.

00:45:11 - 00:45:21 | Speaker 6:

How are you? I'm doing good. My mom actually still leaves her shopping bags in her car until my dad's out of the house to bring them in.

00:45:22 - 00:45:25 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, does she hide them underneath the spare tire?

00:45:27 - 00:45:32 | Speaker 6:

No, she won't hide them. My dad just won't go. He has his own car, so he just doesn't see them.

00:45:33 - 00:45:46 | Speaker 2:

I remember my mom used to do that. She used to hide the stuff, like the purchases, in the car under the spare tire. And then when you would get a shirt, every now and again, you'd get like a black grease mark or something on the thing.

00:45:46 - 00:46:05 | Speaker 1:

You want to get really good at it, too. You get one of those MyQ apps, the Amazon apps or whatever. I have one of those on my garage door opener. We've updated it or whatever, and I'm like, oh, I want that. So you can open up the garage door when the Amazon driver comes. Yeah. And then put it right in. They'll drop it right in there and close the garage door. They'll never even see it.

00:46:06 - 00:46:07 | Speaker 2:

Vicki, what's going on?

00:46:07 - 00:46:10 | Speaker 7:

Hey, have you tried Amazon lockers yet? Will you pick it up?

00:46:11 - 00:46:12 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I need to do that.

00:46:12 - 00:46:21 | Speaker 4:

My old apartment building had that in the lobby, and I didn't realize how light changing it was going to be until I didn't have access to one anymore.

00:46:22 - 00:46:31 | Speaker 7:

What Amazon has done was at all sorts of different locations. So you just send it to whatever location you want and pick it up that night, the next morning.

00:46:32 - 00:46:40 | Speaker 2:

You know what I want? I want one of those, like, don't they have it at the UPS store or something like that? You can have your own mailbox or something there?

00:46:40 - 00:46:42 | Speaker 7:

Yes, you can do that, too.

00:46:42 - 00:46:47 | Speaker 2:

I want to have one of those where I just have to go to one of those places and just do my orders there. What's up, Daisy? How you doing?

00:46:48 - 00:46:49 | Speaker 6:

I'm good. How are you guys?

00:46:50 - 00:46:51 | Speaker 2:

Good. Where do you hide your purchase?

00:46:52 - 00:46:53 | Speaker 6:

My mom's house.

00:46:54 - 00:46:55 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's a good idea.

00:46:56 - 00:46:58 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, it's one of the many perks of her living next door.

00:46:58 - 00:47:12 | Speaker 2:

That's where you have your friend, you know, if you have a good friend in the neighborhood that's even easier to go pick up, you can do it that way. But, yeah, anytime you use, like, in-laws or in Shannon's case, like, with your sister, she could use yours. Yep. Because you guys aren't that far from each other. What's up? Christine, how you doing?

00:47:13 - 00:47:19 | Speaker 5:

Good. My friend owns a boutique online, and she puts in her packages. Don't worry, they won this.

00:47:20 - 00:47:26 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that is the smartest idea ever. That is so great.

00:47:26 - 00:47:30 | Speaker 2:

Does he ever catch on? I mean, I would think that that would be one of those things where you go.

00:47:30 - 00:47:36 | Speaker 4:

No, she's saying when she ships them out, she does that for her customers. Oh. So they can all just lie.

00:47:36 - 00:47:37 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. That's great.

00:47:37 - 00:47:38 | Speaker 4:

That is so great.

00:47:39 - 00:47:40 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Dan? How you doing?

00:47:41 - 00:47:58 | Speaker 3:

Good. I have a whole separate account that's set up different from my wife that actually lets me go golfing, purchase whatever I want that she has no clue about. So I know where you're coming from. And literally every time I shop for anything that I want, it just goes out of that account. She literally has no clue about that account.

00:47:58 - 00:48:01 | Speaker 2:

You don't like this. Women have been doing this forever, Megan.

00:48:02 - 00:48:09 | Speaker 3:

No, this feels different. I don't know. I don't like this. She has her own stash, too. It's called My Cash. So what's the difference?

00:48:09 - 00:48:17 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Listen, my mom used to get money over all the time at the store at Kroger. And that was one of her things that she would do. That's pretty much the same.

00:48:17 - 00:48:34 | Speaker 3:

This sounds like accounts that she doesn't have access to. Some of the courses are like $100, $120 to play. And when the wife sees $120 to play 18 holes, you're just going to hear it all day. So you might as well have a separate account that nobody knows about.

00:48:34 - 00:48:41 | Speaker 2:

Or do you ever do this at those places that cost that much? You pay part with cash, and then you do the rest on your credit card?

00:48:42 - 00:48:44 | Speaker 8:

That is totally financial infidelity.

00:48:45 - 00:48:54 | Speaker 3:

$60 in cash, $60 on the card. Nobody knows what's going on. And they, oh, you paid $60 to go golfing? Cool. They didn't know it cost me $120 to go golfing.

00:48:54 - 00:48:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. By the way, Megan doesn't like it because a guy actually is doing it. That's why.

00:48:58 - 00:49:12 | Speaker 4:

No, I don't. Okay. I'm all for the little lie of how much you spend on a purse or whatever it is. But when you have full-on separate accounts that they don't know about, that seems very extreme.

00:49:12 - 00:49:20 | Speaker 2:

I'm saving this for the next time we talk to a wife who is trying to leave her husband and goes and gets a separate account. Megan's not going to go down.

00:49:20 - 00:49:30 | Speaker 4:

No, but this is actually part of the thing. Like, the first thing I thought of was, can she even leave, or does she not have enough money to do that? Like, this, oh, it seems manipulative. I don't like it.

00:49:30 - 00:49:31 | Speaker 2:

Jackie, what's up?

00:49:32 - 00:49:33 | Speaker 8:

Hi, how are you, Mojo?

00:49:33 - 00:49:38 | Speaker 2:

Good, what's going on? We're talking about financial infidelity, and how do you hide your packages?

00:49:39 - 00:49:55 | Speaker 8:

I had a settlement check from work that was in the thousands of dollars, and I literally had my neighbor checking my mailbox every 15 minutes. So I wouldn't let my husband find it. I know I'm a horrible wife, right?

00:49:55 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 2:

No, no, no, no, no. I'm waiting for maybe a.

00:50:00 - 00:50:05 | Speaker 3:

from Megan on this, but nothing because it's Jackie calling this time.

00:50:05 - 00:50:08 | Speaker 1:

Hmm. Right?

00:50:08 - 00:50:08 | Speaker 3:

Hmm.

00:50:09 - 00:50:13 | Speaker 1:

I swear to God, there's no winning for me today. Huh?

00:50:13 - 00:50:17 | Speaker 3:

Oh, it's all right. Miss Double Standard.

00:50:17 - 00:50:19 | Speaker 1:

No, I think it's... Oh, my God.

00:50:20 - 00:50:20 | Speaker 3:

Take the L.

00:50:21 - 00:50:29 | Speaker 1:

It's not an L. I don't think it's right either. But why are you not saying... Do you want me to harp on everybody? Why are you not saying... I'm going to harp on every caller. Ready? Go.

00:50:30 - 00:50:35 | Speaker 3:

If I did hard, people would be like, you made your point, Megan.

00:50:35 - 00:50:36 | Speaker 1:

Jackie. We know.

00:50:38 - 00:50:40 | Speaker 3:

Go have a great day with how much money was it, by the way, Jackie?

00:50:41 - 00:50:43 | Speaker 1:

It was like $5,000. Jackie.

00:50:44 - 00:50:48 | Speaker 3:

By the way, that's more than a $100 golf game. You know what, Jackie? He deserved it.

00:50:48 - 00:50:58 | Speaker 4:

He deserved it, Jackie. Taylor Swift. Two shows. We're going two for Taylor. Between now and the concert. Hey. Listen for us to play two Taylor Swift songs back to back.

00:50:58 - 00:51:05 | Speaker 1:

Hey, it's Taylor Swift. Whoa, whoa, whoa.

00:51:05 - 00:51:06 | Speaker 2:

That's not it.

00:51:06 - 00:51:20 | Speaker 4:

Then call us to get your tickets. If you can count to two, you have a shot to win. Two for Taylor. And it's from the guy that claims to know Taylor personally, even though he's never met her. Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:51:21 - 00:51:27 | Speaker 3:

Shannon, what are we going to talk about next week? We'll have nothing to talk about next week when Taylor's done.

00:51:27 - 00:52:23 | Speaker 1:

I know. Well, I don't know. I feel like every day there's something new about her. And the new dirty this morning, is there already a new man in Taylor Swift's life? I don't know for sure. But the internet is linking her to L.A. Lakers guard Austin Reeves. They were allegedly spotted together at a bar in Arkansas. Excuse me. Now, he's eight years younger than her, by the way. Austin Reeves. Austin Reeves. Okay, is it true they call him Hillbilly Kobe? That white dude from the Lakers? They call him Hillbilly Kobe. White Mamba. Yes, White Mamba, yes. So, I mean, this is all I know. Like, there are very little details here. I do know that Austin's brother, Spencer, called attention to this theory by laughing off a tweet about the potential new couple. So, I don't know if he was being real, like saying, y'all are crazy, or if he's trying to cover up a little something, something going on. But Taylor Swift, Austin Reeves, that's the rumor of the day.

00:52:24 - 00:52:27 | Speaker 3:

First off, I don't get him on the court, to be honest with you.

00:52:27 - 00:52:31 | Speaker 2:

He's nice. Is he? Yeah, he just signed on to be on the USA team.

00:52:31 - 00:52:33 | Speaker 3:

Is he good? He's really good. You like him?

00:52:33 - 00:52:39 | Speaker 2:

He's up for a contract this year. He's going to get $100 million plus, guaranteed. You're kidding me. I'm telling you. Where did he go to college? I never even knew who he was.

00:52:39 - 00:52:41 | Speaker 1:

Is he an Arkansas guy, maybe?

00:52:43 - 00:52:47 | Speaker 3:

That's wild. It's wild to know that in between concerts, because she was in Chicago, what's she doing in Arkansas?

00:52:47 - 00:52:49 | Speaker 1:

University of Oklahoma.

00:52:49 - 00:53:02 | Speaker 3:

Oklahoma? That's what it looks like. What is she doing in between shows? I don't know. Is it just weekends that she's doing this tour? Or is she somewhere right before she gets to Detroit?

00:53:02 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 1:

It seems that way. It seems like she's doing it. Because there's definitely chunks. You know, there are a couple of days in between. Morgan Wallen has been cleared to talk and sing again by his doctor just weeks after he announced that he was going on vocal rest and would delay his tour. Remember all of those canceled and postponed tour dates and everybody was thinking maybe there was a little something else going on. perhaps an alcohol issue but he did write on social media last night way back he has yet to announce when he's back as in when he'll perform again though i do know i can see here that his next scheduled date is june 22nd in chicago just as his trial was about to begin cuba gooding jr settled accusations that he raped a woman in a new york city hotel a decade ago the actor has always maintained that his encounter with this woman was consensual and that she actually bragged afterward to others that she had sex with a celebrity. So the trial was going to start with jury selection in New York federal court as the Oscar-winning Jerry Maguire star faced allegations that he met this woman at a Manhattan restaurant, persuaded her to join him at a local hotel, and then convinced her to stop up in his room so he could change his clothes. The anonymous woman, who would have been forced to reveal her name at trial said in her lawsuit that Cuba raped her in that hotel room. She was being repped by the famous Gloria Allred by the way. Well literally minutes after jurors were to begin assembling in a courtroom a calendar entry in the official court record noted that the trial was off as the parties had resolved the matter. The lawsuit sought $6 million in damages. I don't know what it was settled for. And lastly, you guys all know Grimace, right? The big purple blob that's been one of McDonald's iconic characters forever and ever. Well, he is celebrating a birthday.

00:55:00 - 00:55:10 | Speaker 2:

in June. So we're getting a new purple milkshake in his honor that was announced in a commercial voiced by Succession's Brian Cox. Since he was

00:55:10 - 00:55:24 | Speaker 1:

born, Grimace has always had a birthday. And since he's had a birthday, he's always had it at McDonald's. So this June, we're all invited to the party with a special shake to celebrate. I don't know what the shake

00:55:24 - 00:55:32 | Speaker 2:

tastes like. Purple. Is it vanilla? Oh, purple berry is what it tastes like. There you go. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on NojoInTheMorning.com.

00:55:33 - 00:56:18 | Speaker 3:

Celebrity Dirt, directly from the source. It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the Dirty. Mojo in the Morning Show. So, we're going to do a topic here right now that involves babysitter involvement. And if you are a babysitter or, I don't know, like maybe a nanny or whatever it is in the rich areas of town, We want you to get ready to participate with us If you have the kids in the car with you You gotta make sure that they don't realize You're talking about their family When you're doing this Because we've had this before Where all of a sudden we're talking about Babysitting stuff and crazy stuff At people's homes And then I'm like Wait, the kids are in the car with you? What's going on?

00:56:18 - 00:58:25 | Speaker 2:

Well, I had my sweet babysitter, Abby You know Abby Mojo She's Linda's daughter Beautiful We love her And so she, Lucy's still in school. She's finishing school on Friday, but my little guy, my six-year-old Smith is, is home right now. His summer has already started. So Abby was watching him for me yesterday and I had just a crazy day. So she was at my house for like a good chunk of the day starting at 5 a.m. And like I have said many times, my kids are obsessed with YouTube. God help me. And that, so that is all that is ever on any TV. Well, for whatever reason, the newest TV that I got in my house, like the most recent TV I purchased, I don't know if you guys have experienced this. The controller isn't controlled by batteries. You have to either charge it, like with a plug, or you flip it over and the light will charge it. It has like a little solar thing on the back. Oh, I know. I've never seen it. That's interesting. This is like this new thing. um and so smith was watching some youtube video about prime water or this prime drink whatever the heck it is and the remote went to spit and would not work anymore and so sweet abby had to watch that same video about prime water blasting by the way because my kids are like 80 year olds And they listened to the TV so loud Blasting for four hours Over and over and over and over again Now, you ask She could just go up to the TV and turn it off Nope, you can't Because the TV is mounted on my wall And the wires are hidden So she couldn't take the TV off the wall And get into this little box To actually turn it off That's when I go into the garage And I find the breaker box And we're just flipping off power to the house I came home and she looked like She looked so disheveled And she's like, Shannon, I think I'm going to lose my mind I have been watching this same YouTube video on repeat For the past four hours

00:58:25 - 00:58:41 | Speaker 3:

That's what we did to those people in Guantanamo Bay It's torture All the 9-11 Hijackers or whatever Yeah, they put them there And then they play like Eminem's Lose Yourself Over and over and over again or something like that

00:58:41 - 00:58:46 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, she goes, we went outside for a little bit but then he wanted to come back in and play with his Legos, so there was no getting away from it.

00:58:46 - 00:58:53 | Speaker 3:

All right, so is the topic here this morning, complain about the people you babysit for, or what do you want to do?

00:58:53 - 00:58:56 | Speaker 2:

Or babysitters' worst nightmares. I don't know. I don't know where we should go with this.

00:58:57 - 00:59:43 | Speaker 3:

You know, because I always do love when babysitters will call up with a little confessional of stuff that's going on at home because they know a lot of what's going on. And I will say this to any person that is listening that has a child that has to be in the care of somebody that maybe is not a family member, you better pay them well because you're not paying them to watch your kids. You're paying them off to not talk about you. That's pretty much what you're paying them off for. So make sure that those guys are well taken care of and that they know that they're appreciated. Get them a remote control that doesn't have to be solar powered. I never heard of that before. I hate my Apple TV box, the fact that I have to actually, I can't just change the batteries in it. I got to plug it into like I plug in my phone.

00:59:43 - 00:59:53 | Speaker 2:

Right. And that has this option too. It does. And I was looking last night. For the life of me, don't know where the little charger thing went. And it's a special one. It's not like I can use my iPhone one or whatever.

00:59:53 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I'm telling you, I think that the person that's going to be the genius, and I know we have Amazons and we've got.

01:00:00 - 01:00:26 | Speaker 4:

you know all the different devices where you can just pretty much tell it the person that's going to be a genius with a television is going to be the person that sits there and goes okay i've invented the television that i can say put on the nba game without having to push my remote to talk to text whatever like it is because that's going to be the genius thing until your spouse walks in the room and says turn off the nba you know another thing they could do is they could build

01:00:26 - 01:00:36 | Speaker 5:

like a table or something that universally charges. You know how they have those charges? Yes. You set your phone on? But that universally charges everything. That's a great idea, Mike. Your phone, your remote,

01:00:36 - 01:00:38 | Speaker 2:

your anything that needs to be... Copyright that trademark, whatever you need

01:00:38 - 01:00:43 | Speaker 4:

to do. They should put it on your kitchen table. That's because everybody's got their stuff right there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Megan, what's going on?

01:00:44 - 01:01:09 | Speaker 2:

Hi. I just will never forget this time I was 16 babysitting. This really nice family in like Birmingham. They like lived in this like golf course house. It was huge. Anyways, They had this really complicated driveway, and I was backing out of it to leave at, like, 1 o'clock in the morning, and my car got stuck in their bushes that they had just put in. Oh, jeez. So I had to wait all night for a tow truck to come get my car.

01:01:10 - 01:01:11 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no. And you ruined their new bushes.

01:01:12 - 01:01:19 | Speaker 2:

And I ruined their new bushes, and they never called me back, and I was, like, their steady babysitter for, like, almost a solid year. So when you—

01:01:19 - 01:01:22 | Speaker 4:

That was the last time you babysat because you ruined their bushes.

01:01:23 - 01:01:25 | Speaker 2:

Yes, and I will never forget it. It was so embarrassing.

01:01:26 - 01:01:29 | Speaker 4:

that's funny thank you for the call appreciate it judith what's happening

01:01:29 - 01:02:09 | Speaker 3:

oh my gosh worst babysitting ever like this family like i needed the money but oh it's horrible so one time it's 90 degree weather i said we can play outside for two seconds we all are outside four kids the girl runs inside locks us out so we're running around the house trying to like find a window to open she's running around the house locking all the windows and this goes on for, like, over an hour. I have the baby, and he's crying because we're all hot, no water. So then I, like, bribe her with a Popsicle, and finally we were able to get inside, and then I give her the Popsicle, send her to her room for, like, a time out. Then she throws, like, a little chair and breaks the window in her bedroom.

01:02:09 - 01:02:09 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

01:02:09 - 01:02:11 | Speaker 2:

I would not be back to babysit that family.

01:02:12 - 01:02:16 | Speaker 4:

How often were you sitting for these guys? Was this a job?

01:02:18 - 01:02:23 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it was, like, a couple times a week. I might have stabbed one of the kids with a pencil accidentally once.

01:02:24 - 01:02:34 | Speaker 4:

Hold on. Hold on. Okay. I was going to start asking questions about the same thing. This call just complete.

01:02:35 - 01:02:48 | Speaker 3:

No, they were all sitting on me. They were all sitting on me. I was drawing, and then they all decided to sit on me so one of them can kiss me. And it was like his hand, and I'm like, get away. And I didn't realize my pencil was in my hand still. And I'm like, oh, shoot.

01:02:49 - 01:02:59 | Speaker 4:

Hey, real quick, I do need to ask you this. Can you babysit for Mike's kids this Friday night so that Mike and Allie can go to the Taylor Swift concert?

01:03:00 - 01:03:02 | Speaker 1:

He probably doesn't want me there now.

01:03:02 - 01:03:11 | Speaker 4:

So desperate for babysitters, right, Mike? Just don't stab two out of the three. It'll be good. Just hide the pencils. What's up, Emily? How you doing?

01:03:12 - 01:03:14 | Speaker 1:

Hi, good. How are you? Good morning. Good morning.

01:03:14 - 01:03:18 | Speaker 4:

I mean, we're talking about the babysitter horror.

01:03:19 - 01:03:24 | Speaker 1:

One time I was babysitting and there was a bat in the baby's room.

01:03:24 - 01:03:31 | Speaker 4:

Oh, jeez. Yeah, nope, nope, nope. So they had a bat in their house that they didn't know about and it flew out of the baby's room?

01:03:31 - 01:03:50 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, they didn't know. We went in there and we thought it was a bird at first and we were freaking out and then we realized what it was. We hid in the closet until they came home and got the bat out. How long was that? It was horrible We were maybe like 30 minutes It wasn't crazy but we were not coming out of that closet

01:03:50 - 01:04:01 | Speaker 4:

You gotta do what you gotta do I remember we had bats in our attic At one point and I remember that You could hear them like up in the attic At certain points and we had to call the Batman

01:04:01 - 01:04:04 | Speaker 5:

I swear to you it was the pest control guy

01:04:04 - 01:04:20 | Speaker 4:

That came out And the guy came out and he looked exactly like You would expect a man that goes in attics To look for bats and he was not like Batman but he did have the Batman logo on his shirt and he came out to look at it thank you for the call I appreciate it

01:04:20 - 01:04:21 | Speaker 1:

yeah thank you

01:04:21 - 01:05:00 | Speaker 4:

it's funny because I feel like one of the things that Chelsea and I were very smart at and maybe it was because of the radio thing was we always made sure that we were pretty good to the babysitters and we friended them and I think you do the same don't you probably I hope so you got to do it because the problem is If you don't, they call up the radio show to talk about how years later you found out that your kid was stabbed by a pencil. Mojo in the morning show. Megan, how was your doctor's appointment yesterday? We were talking on the air about how you were going to the doctor and all the worry of.

01:05:00 - 01:05:04 | Speaker 3:

how you had to like make sure that you groomed yourself and took care of yourself because you

01:05:04 - 01:05:32 | Speaker 1:

were going to the gyno? So I have had nothing but really traumatic experiences when I went to the gyno growing up. Um, that sounds ridiculous. I mean, traumatic and I don't know who to blame here, but at one point, let's just say I had gone to the doctor. I was not active yet and was kind of reprimanded for lying and it really put a bad taste in my mouth of the whole system for a really

01:05:32 - 01:05:38 | Speaker 3:

really long time what do you mean uh you were reprimanded for lying um i said that i was not

01:05:38 - 01:08:32 | Speaker 1:

active they uh they said that i was not telling the truth about that and it was like the most scary thing like to have a doctor tell you that you're lying is very weird i don't the power dynamics are weird the whole thing is very uncomfortable and i didn't go back for a really long time which is not a good thing and i know that but i didn't go back for a really really long time um and so i was super nervous going into this and every time that i have any kind of issue this is also tmi but i'll share it anyways i get really bad bladder infections like all of the time and i've actually been hospitalized for it and uh every time you go in they make you take a pregnancy test just in case so before you'd love to go to the doctor's office i had peed accidentally just because that's what i do before i get in the car i'm like a toddler i have to do a full checklist like wallet keys phone go to the bathroom leave the house and i left and immediately went oh shoot you just peed you dummy you gotta go take a pregnancy test you gotta go get some water so i stopped at a gas station get a giant bottle of water and i'm like chugging it on my way to this doctor's office and i'm like pounding this giant bottle of water and it's me. I don't drink water to save my life. So this kind of hits me really hard. And I get into the doctor's office and it takes a little bit longer than I guess I was anticipating to go back into the room. And I'm filling out questionnaires like you do at a new office and yada, yada, yada. It's really boring. It's taking forever. And I realize as the nurse is sitting me in the back room, she wants to go over all of my questions. Now, I have never been to one of these doctor's offices where they didn't immediately say all right before we go back i'm gonna have you go into the bathroom i'm gonna have you pee in this cup we're gonna do a pregnancy test yada yada yada just to make sure and that didn't happen and so i'm starting to panic i need to take a pee pee exactly and i'm starting to like sweat and kind of breathe heavy and i feel like a kid in second grade who's too scared to ask to go to the bathroom and so this nurse is asking me all of these questions and going through my entire family history and the whole time i'm like please don't pay yourself on this table please don't pay yourself on this table and we get through it and she's asking me all these questions and she's like all right we're gonna start the exam soon i said um are we gonna do a pregnancy test and she goes well you said that you haven't been sexually active and you know over yeah amount of time i didn't think that was really necessary and i said oh it's necessary and she was like is it necessary for you to take the test i thought i was like no but it is necessary for me to go pee right now i literally thought i was going to vomit i was trying to hold this in sweating my blood pressure was really high when she took it she's like are you okay i was like yeah i'm fine and then i like booked it to the bathroom absolutely booked it doesn't that doesn't that suck when you do have

01:08:32 - 01:08:48 | Speaker 3:

to take you know like they want you to pee or do anything and you can't go at the time that you need to go and that is exactly the same thing where you're not prepared to like sit there and be a camel right and hold on to it

01:08:48 - 01:08:54 | Speaker 2:

you tickle the top of your butt and you will pee

01:08:54 - 01:08:58 | Speaker 3:

so you don't have to necessarily drink a whole thing of water

01:08:58 - 01:09:00 | Speaker 2:

I don't know it magically comes out

01:09:01 - 01:09:04 | Speaker 3:

So if I was to stand up right now and just tickle my butt.

01:09:04 - 01:09:19 | Speaker 2:

Well, I mean, you don't sit to pee, but I sit when I pee, obviously. You don't know that. Okay, maybe you do. You don't know. It's just a thing. Like, if you tickle the top of your butt, that helps me pee. Always. Wasn't that- Gyno included.

01:09:21 - 01:09:27 | Speaker 3:

Wasn't that nice, though, of her to actually believe you that you weren't sexually active instead of that first doctor that was like, you know?

01:09:27 - 01:09:50 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but because of that first experience, I brought it up because I was scared to ask questions. I was scared to do absolutely anything in this office. And it turns out she came very highly recommended. I was so excited. I left that place smiling, good mood. It was great. Like 10 out of 10 would recommend full 180 from all my other ones. But like I was so traumatized.

01:09:50 - 01:09:53 | Speaker 3:

10 out of 10 vaginas recommend that doctor.

01:09:53 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 2:

How weird is it, by the way? And this is for all girls who ever have to pee in the cup. It's like, how many, like.

01:10:00 - 01:10:12 | Speaker 4:

50% of the time, I pee in my hand. Yeah. It's like a target. 50% of the time, I still have to pee more. So you're like, do I set the cup on the floor? Do I set it on the sink? That's kind of gross. I'm already bad at cornhole. Where do I go? Now I've got to pee in a cup.

01:10:12 - 01:10:13 | Speaker 6:

I'm already bad at cornhole.

01:10:13 - 01:10:14 | Speaker 4:

There's just a lot to it.

01:10:14 - 01:10:17 | Speaker 2:

And then you never know how full it's getting. Right.

01:10:17 - 01:10:22 | Speaker 3:

You're like, I'm going to stop and check. Right. And then it's hot. Push the brakes to make it stop. You're like, ah.

01:10:23 - 01:10:36 | Speaker 7:

By the way, that is, again, another reason why we have to bow down before you guys. that we at least have the ability to be able to, you know, kink the hose, so to speak. What's going on, Andrea?

01:10:38 - 01:10:58 | Speaker 1:

Hey, so when you're pregnant before an ultrasound, they tell you to drink 64 ounces of water like an hour before your appointment. And then I swear it never fails every time you're waiting for the ultrasound because they want you to have a full bladder. So every time you're waiting, it's like the longest way ever. I can't tell you how many times I've almost peed my pants before and all of a sudden.

01:10:58 - 01:10:59 | Speaker 7:

Oh, man.

01:10:59 - 01:11:00 | Speaker 1:

It's insane.

01:11:00 - 01:11:04 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. So you can relate to this, that this is a...

01:11:04 - 01:11:06 | Speaker 1:

Yes, yes. Far too well.

01:11:06 - 01:11:09 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Thank you for the call. We appreciate it.

01:11:09 - 01:11:22 | Speaker 3:

Well, Megan, I don't have that problem. I am chronically dehydrated. My doctor told me that I need to drink more water. Every time I go, I have to ask them for like a Capri Sun or something. I feel like a child because I can't pee. I literally can't. I have the opposite thing.

01:11:23 - 01:11:28 | Speaker 7:

Do you, what, they tell you they can tell that you're dehydrated?

01:11:28 - 01:11:34 | Speaker 3:

Well, when you're in the bathroom for 30 minutes saying that you can't pee in the cup, they're going to give you, you know, something to help you pee.

01:11:35 - 01:11:40 | Speaker 7:

And doctor's offices don't seem like they would have, like, a great selection of things to drink.

01:11:40 - 01:11:42 | Speaker 3:

Well, actually, I like the Capri Suns. I think they're pretty good.

01:11:44 - 01:12:15 | Speaker 7:

Since we're talking about the lady parts, I know this is not a really great segue to, you know, but we were just talking about going to the doctor. Kev is the new guy on the show, has had to spend a lot of time in the gynecologist lately as his girlfriend is pregnant. And you guys are going to be having a baby. And you had something that you wanted to bring up on the air and ask the listeners about when it comes to having a baby.

01:12:15 - 01:13:26 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I love some knowledge. I'm a novice in this area. But the conversation Sherelle and I were having Revolved around a doula A doula A doula Yeah, immediately I'm thinking But a doula, man So I had no idea I've never heard of this term Prior to my conversations with Sherelle And then after like quick Google research It seems like this person's only job Is to be me So I feel like either I'm not doing a good enough job And that's why she needs a doula I don't know what it is, but the doula is supposed to be there to be an emotional supporter and be a physical supporter throughout this entire pregnancy. And I've never had any friends who have given birth, have a doula. I don't have anybody in my family that's ever had a doula, but it seems as though it's something that Sherelle really wants. And this is her first pregnancy, so I'm there and I'm just, yes, yes, baby, whatever you want. Whatever you want, doula, let's get you all that stuff. But I just would love to hear from people who are either doulas or people who have had the doula experience, whether it was good or bad, and just tell me, like, what's up? Is a doula, like, a pregnancy hype man? Because that's what it sounds like.

01:13:27 - 01:13:43 | Speaker 4:

Kind of, Mike. So one of my really good friends, Kirsten, is a doula. And actually, Kirsten, if you're listening, call because she can give you, like, all of the information. But she loves doing it. Like, she's usually a part of, like, the entire pregnancy. She's there the entire time to provide support to the mama.

01:13:43 - 01:13:47 | Speaker 5:

I feel like doulas just came out recently, too. They're like gluten.

01:13:48 - 01:13:52 | Speaker 6:

Like, where was it? It's a fad thing. I don't think it's a fad.

01:13:54 - 01:14:06 | Speaker 7:

You know what's interesting is that it does kind of say to you, doesn't it, Kev, that Sherelle's going to need some support, and she's not thinking that you are maybe able to do that.

01:14:06 - 01:14:09 | Speaker 4:

Are you guys doing a hospital birth or a home birth?

01:14:09 - 01:14:17 | Speaker 5:

A hospital birth. She's going to need all the epidural and all that stuff. Plus, again, she has endometriosis, so it's going to be a difficult pregnancy.

01:14:17 - 01:14:29 | Speaker 7:

I like how Mike called the hype man, but it's also kind of like a wedding party planner. Like you're maybe, I don't know, setting up the stage for you guys. What's up, Michelle? What's happening?

01:14:30 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. Hey, talk to Kev. Well, I have a 10-month-old, and so I gave birth not that long ago, and I wanted a doula so bad or a midwife and i couldn't have one because of covid restrictions so i had my mom in the room and my husband and my husband is probably the most supportive person ever however he's still not a woman and he still doesn't have lady parts so it was helpful to have my mom there but she also wasn't a doula but i did follow the naked doula on instagram

01:15:00 - 01:15:12 | Speaker 5:

who i would highly highly highly recommend yeah the naked doula and she helped me get in like a really good mindset for birth which is something that i didn't even know i needed to have so while

01:15:12 - 01:15:18 | Speaker 4:

you were in the delivery room you were watching yeah yes and no she actually had some weird

01:15:18 - 01:15:48 | Speaker 5:

hoodoo stuff i don't know the right wording for it but it was like woo-woo things that help you like almost like meditate and like get in a really good mindset for giving birth because if you're in like this place of being really scared and all of that it's not as good of an experience and it helps up the mood in the room and all these kinds of things and she actually makes you think of giving birth almost like having or baking cookies which is kind of weird and and i will say this

01:15:48 - 01:16:01 | Speaker 4:

Having had three kids The biggest thing Mike you know this First hand too Kev is Keep your mouth shut During the entire time Just be supportive And don't be You know Don't be like Hey come on girl We're gonna go

01:16:01 - 01:16:08 | Speaker 3:

If you need If you need a Pregnancy hype man I can step in Just give me some music Right now I'll make a hat

01:16:08 - 01:16:22 | Speaker 4:

Like I remember I just kept sitting there Going are you okay Are you hey Great And I'm like trying To like wipe off Her forehead And she just gave me The look like Get away The f away from me Tanya what's up It's Mojo in the morning. Kev wants to know about a doula.

01:16:23 - 01:16:43 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. The doula was the most amazing thing ever. I've had three pregnancies. My last pregnancy was I had a doula, and she made it so much easier, much more calm and relaxed, and it was much easier to get birth.

01:16:43 - 01:16:52 | Speaker 1:

When does a doula come into play? Like, are they, like, at what point do you introduce the doula? Are they only there during the birth? Do they come to the appointments with you? Like, when do they come?

01:16:53 - 01:17:02 | Speaker 6:

Mine only, I had a midwife and a doula. And she came in when I was in actual labor, in active labor.

01:17:02 - 01:17:07 | Speaker 4:

So it's not somebody that you hang out with for weeks beforehand and it all of a sudden becomes a... No, you can't.

01:17:07 - 01:17:12 | Speaker 6:

I don't know if they changed it. Mine was years ago, so I don't know if they changed it.

01:17:12 - 01:17:17 | Speaker 4:

Let me talk to you, hold on. Let me talk to a doula here. You stay with us for a second. Portia, are you there?

01:17:17 - 01:17:18 | Speaker 8:

Yes, I'm here.

01:17:18 - 01:17:21 | Speaker 4:

Portia's a doula. So talk to us, Portia.

01:17:22 - 01:18:22 | Speaker 8:

Okay, so just to clarify, doulas have been around for many, many, many decades. It hasn't been as popular. However, what we do is we support moms. There's different types of doulas. You have postpartum. You have birth doulas. you have those that come in and just support that really we just support mom through her entire labor and delivery process um a lot of times we meet with the moms before birthing that way we get an understanding of what it is that they want their birthing birthing experience to look like um we advocate for them so if it's in a hospital setting we make sure they don't get If the medications they don't want or the procedures they don't want, they have the option to say no, they can say yes. So it's pretty much support. We support the partners, whoever their support partners are. We support them.

01:18:22 - 01:18:33 | Speaker 4:

Do the dads ever get jealous of the doulas? That the doulas have a closer look at the landing spot?

01:18:33 - 01:18:49 | Speaker 8:

see with doulas we don't want to interfere with dad being there you get what i'm saying so we want dad to be as involved as as physically possible so so is the dad does dad still get

01:18:49 - 01:18:54 | Speaker 7:

the ability to catch the baby or what absolutely okay all right could you imagine if the doula

01:18:54 - 01:19:01 | Speaker 2:

was the one cutting the cord yeah i'm sure some dads are squeamish though has any has any mom

01:19:01 - 01:19:04 | Speaker 4:

Ever fallen in love With the doula Like it's like

01:19:04 - 01:19:07 | Speaker 2:

Well that's a great movie That's a great movie

01:19:07 - 01:19:10 | Speaker 4:

Coming up next On the next Oprah

01:19:10 - 01:19:22 | Speaker 2:

You know You know what else Doulas do is Some women They want to like Eat their placenta Or have it made into pills And some doulas Will do the placenta Encapsulation too

01:19:22 - 01:19:22 | Speaker 4:

Wow

01:19:22 - 01:19:25 | Speaker 2:

I don't know if Shirelle's into that That's so exciting

01:19:25 - 01:19:31 | Speaker 4:

A labor and delivery nurse By the name of Morgan's on with us Do doctors And nurses

01:19:31 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 7:

like the doula great question are they down with the doula absolutely we appreciate them and they're amazing and i love when um women and their partners have one accompanying them in the delivery room they're just amazing they're so supportive and i love how they take much more of like a natural and holistic approach towards labor i think it's

01:20:00 - 01:20:07 | Speaker 5:

so beneficial for the women um are do do people ever have doulas and midwives or is it one or the

01:20:07 - 01:20:15 | Speaker 1:

other usually um usually a doula people will hire on their own whereas a midwife is through the

01:20:15 - 01:20:22 | Speaker 5:

hospital what do you like better doulas or midwives a doula doula is better are there are

01:20:22 - 01:20:29 | Speaker 3:

there doula do's and don'ts like what are the things that a doula should absolutely not do

01:20:29 - 01:20:57 | Speaker 1:

uh honestly i can't really think of anything all of my experiences have been great um and i think it was like shannon was saying um they're with you your whole pregnancy supporting you which is great because a lot of the times when you're assigned a doctor like your ob you don't know if they're going to be there for your delivery where you know your doula will be there you know No matter what

01:20:57 - 01:21:04 | Speaker 4:

Still in my head The Chicago Bulls entrance theme song is playing There's a hype man with a megaphone

01:21:04 - 01:21:08 | Speaker 2:

Mike I feel like you're on to a new business idea

01:21:08 - 01:21:13 | Speaker 4:

Coming in at 8 pounds 6 ounces I actually honestly wanted you

01:21:13 - 01:21:22 | Speaker 5:

Fog machine When you guys were just in the hospital I thought it would have been great If Mike would have had his turntables And all the rest of that stuff there

01:21:22 - 01:21:25 | Speaker 4:

But that's what I expect I want a beat to push to

01:21:25 - 01:21:37 | Speaker 6:

30 in minutes on mojo in the morning that prince harry story is so funny i was watching on the news just a little bit ago and they some of it's creepy what was happening well i'm not even so much wondering what he's testifying to but they couldn't show cameras in the courtroom and sky news hired a guy that looks like harry to reenact no yes you got to go you got to go google it and look at it and uh maybe we'll try to uh play some of this stuff but the guy's at the guy's verbal acting is not that great but the guy kind of like you know it's kind of a red-headed almost balding ginger that uh that they hired to uh to play harry and they see all he does is sit there and read the transcripts um mojo in the morning show i went out after i did my golf league with uh my buddy will who is my golf partner and um something happened while we were ordering food that i thought was really interesting and you guys got to tell me if this is something that you can do can two guys do this and by the way this is not you know trying to be like you know homophobic or anything like that because it has nothing to do with being gay straight or whatever um we were ordering food and will says hey why don't we do this why don't we get a caesar salad and a steak and we'll split both of them and i looked at him like are you crazy first off look at me when when have i ever not finished food on my plate like maybe when i was doing the ideal you diet and if i ordered like at a place like jay alexander's that already gives you enough you know way too much food but when is it that as a guy as a grown ass fat man like myself that i have ever not had an appetizer a salad and the food and then wished that i had like an extra side on you know on the deal and he goes that you don't look like you're really happy with doing this thing and i said no i don't want to look at and the waitress by the way when the waitress uh was there when he was saying it she kind of gave a weird look too like she was like yeah okay I don't know because girls do it all the time all the time like my wife does it with she's with Will's wife all the time like she's got a few things and split them let's get a burger and we'll split it and I'm like if I and then she'll say Chelsea will sometimes say and can you put them uh on on separate plates right you know in the kitchen and you know you know whatever you need to do we'll do that and I'm like if a half of a burger came out to me on the table it would be the most unappetizing thing that I've looked at.

01:24:38 - 01:24:42 | Speaker 3:

I'd be so mad. Right. Is this right? I'm sorry? Is this for the other table?

01:24:42 - 01:24:52 | Speaker 5:

I want the whole thing. You know what I mean? Like, there are times when I've ordered at restaurants. Have you guys ever had this happen to you? When you order at a restaurant and the food comes out and it looks like somebody split it in the back.

01:24:52 - 01:24:53 | Speaker 3:

Where's the rest?

01:24:53 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 5:

Right. I want, like, gobs of food. I don't want a little bit of food. But I was thinking about this.

01:25:00 - 01:25:11 | Speaker 1:

I was thinking about people sharing and doing all this stuff. It's got to drive waiters and waitresses and then the people in the kitchen crazy. Like, you can't go to Red Robin and do this. Yeah. Or Applebee's.

01:25:11 - 01:25:15 | Speaker 5:

Well, couldn't you just bring an extra plate? Well, you can do that. You can spit it yourself.

01:25:15 - 01:25:37 | Speaker 1:

But you can't do the whole, yes, I would like to get a wedge salad and can you please split that for us, please? Like, you can't do that. You couldn't do it. If I called Brian over at the Red Robin right now and said, hey, do your waiters or waitresses, like, hate this when this happens? I guarantee you that there's a waiter or a waitress that sits there and goes, come on.

01:25:37 - 01:26:00 | Speaker 6:

I know we upset. Ellie and I upset this. It's this tiny little pizza place out by where we were camping. We wanted pizza for the kids, but her and I didn't really feel like pizza, so we got a salad. But instead of ordering, like, salads with specific things on them, we ordered just, like, a giant thing of lettuce and then the sides that you would put on the salad. So they had to put them in like little cups on the side Oh my god, you're the worst Oh yeah, I know, I fully know

01:26:00 - 01:26:08 | Speaker 1:

I fully know By the way, they wanted to poke your eyes out, didn't they? Yes, oh yeah, we tipped it very, very well Because I felt bad

01:26:08 - 01:26:16 | Speaker 5:

You could send me a raw burger And I would be like, oh my god, thank you so much I would never send this back And Mike's out here going, I want everything in a separate container

01:26:16 - 01:26:18 | Speaker 6:

Don't mix those olives

01:26:18 - 01:26:21 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Melissa? How you doing?

01:26:22 - 01:26:24 | Speaker 3:

I'm good, Mojo, how are you?

01:26:24 - 01:26:26 | Speaker 1:

Doing okay. What do you think about this?

01:26:26 - 01:26:40 | Speaker 3:

I think that it's just ridiculous. I've been a server for 25 years. I weigh 115 pounds because I work for it. And if I want to order dessert, an appetizer, a soup, a salad, go for it, Mojo. You eat.

01:26:40 - 01:26:45 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. I need that. I need to be nourished, fat boy.

01:26:45 - 01:26:50 | Speaker 3:

You're not fat, though. I've seen you. You are not fat. You look great, by the way.

01:26:50 - 01:26:51 | Speaker 1:

Oh, hey.

01:26:51 - 01:26:52 | Speaker 3:

Congratulations on your weight loss.

01:26:53 - 01:27:01 | Speaker 1:

I love you. Thank you Look at how fat you are I appreciate I love you Thank you for that Take care

01:27:01 - 01:27:06 | Speaker 3:

Get that fatty some mudflats for his ass Big old jiggly fatty butt

01:27:06 - 01:27:09 | Speaker 1:

Logan what's going on?

01:27:10 - 01:27:27 | Speaker 4:

Hey I was going to say as a waitress Like I have no problem with people splitting food It is probably one of the easiest You know questions that I've been asked People ask all the time They're like oh can I have this but no salt or can you not use oil when you cook it? And I feel like those are the worst.

01:27:27 - 01:27:39 | Speaker 1:

Uh-oh, I do that. Yeah, Mojo does the no oil. I do the no, because with Ideal U, you know, you have to be particular with stuff. But then I got, you know, sometimes it makes it greasy, you know? It's, like, too greasy on there.

01:27:41 - 01:27:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:27:44 - 01:27:45 | Speaker 4:

I'm being judged.

01:27:46 - 01:27:47 | Speaker 1:

I'm being judged.

01:27:47 - 01:27:50 | Speaker 4:

Sauces, and, like, sauces are pre-made. It's just a whole thing.

01:27:50 - 01:27:56 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, no, no. I understand. Never go to that restaurant. What's up, Liz? How you doing? Liz is a cook. Hi, Liz.

01:27:57 - 01:27:58 | Speaker 2:

Hi.

01:27:58 - 01:27:59 | Speaker 1:

What's going on?

01:27:59 - 01:28:33 | Speaker 2:

Hey, I'm a line cook at, it's called Schmuckers. It's a diner in Toledo. I love Schmuckers. Okay. Your pies are amazing. Yes. Good food. But, so we had to start charging to split orders because it was happening so much. And as a cook, you know, when you're busy, you don't have time to split a burger in half and split, you know, a hot roast beef in half or, you know, pies in half. So, yeah, we had to start charging like $2 to split.

01:28:33 - 01:28:42 | Speaker 1:

Like if somebody is going to get a piece of pie from Schmuckers and they're going to split it in half, like just get two forks and eat it together. You know what I mean?

01:28:42 - 01:28:48 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm not paying two bucks. No, they want it split and they'll even pay $2 to split a $4. That's silly.

01:28:48 - 01:29:00 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, but nobody is getting one slice of pie at Schmuckers. If you were getting one slice of pie, I hate you. You buy the whole pie. That is the only way to do it. Yes, you're absolutely right.

01:29:00 - 01:29:01 | Speaker 1:

But I don't understand.

01:29:01 - 01:29:07 | Speaker 5:

But they do. They do it all the time, and it's actually, you know, a little annoying. No, but I'm with Mojo, with the piece of pie. Just go at it together.

01:29:07 - 01:29:15 | Speaker 1:

Just go at it. And financially, you're irresponsible. If it's a $4 piece of pie and you're adding another $2 to it just to have them cut it.

01:29:15 - 01:29:20 | Speaker 5:

Now, would that be weird for two guys to share a piece of pie with two forks? Okay, so- To go back to your original question.

01:29:20 - 01:29:27 | Speaker 1:

That goes to the homophobic thing, and I am not homophobic. I want you to know that, but-

01:29:27 - 01:29:28 | Speaker 5:

It came off a little gay.

01:29:28 - 01:29:37 | Speaker 1:

But I will say this to you. I will say this to you. I split desserts all the time with people. Is this weird that I actually will split ice cream? Like, I will actually eat out of the same ice cream bar?

01:29:37 - 01:29:41 | Speaker 6:

I don't think any of it's weird. I would never do that. We've all split a piece of carrot cake at Tommy's.

01:29:41 - 01:29:43 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. Like a dozen of us.

01:29:43 - 01:29:48 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. And there was still leftover. The thing's so big.

01:29:48 - 01:29:54 | Speaker 1:

The owners, though, of Tommy's looked at us like, you cheap bastards. Why don't you guys just order your own?

01:29:54 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 5:

Call us. Texas. Find us on social media. At Mojo in the Morning. It's not hard to reach out to us.

01:30:00 - 01:30:03 | Speaker 3:

And if you really loved us, you join the show now. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:30:05 - 01:30:24 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning Show. Something happened to KP, our producer, yesterday that I think she's got to bring up on the air because I think that what happened to KP was wrong and they shouldn't be allowed to do this. So did you guys know that KP is ready to break her grandparents' hearts?

01:30:26 - 01:30:26 | Speaker 4:

No.

01:30:27 - 01:30:33 | Speaker 2:

For those that don't know, So KP lives with your, what do you call her? Granny and Pawpaw?

01:30:33 - 01:30:35 | Speaker 4:

Graham and Gramps.

01:30:35 - 01:30:42 | Speaker 2:

Graham and Gramps. She lives with them in a senior living neighborhood.

01:30:42 - 01:30:43 | Speaker 4:

It's one happy family.

01:30:44 - 01:30:59 | Speaker 2:

And the youngest in the senior living neighborhood is about to move out. You know, you're not only going to break their hearts when you do this. You're going to break the hearts of every elderly person in that neighborhood. Especially those old dudes that sit there and say, oh, look at that cutie pie coming home, you know?

01:30:59 - 01:32:11 | Speaker 4:

KP, don't do it. You know what, Megan? I'm having second thoughts after what just happened to me the other day. I found a place that I really, really liked for a good price. I'm looking for a two-bed, less than two grand. I was looking at $1,600, and I'm like, oh, my gosh, that's a steal. Like, a nice area. In a nice neighborhood, too, right? Nice neighborhood. um it's it's it's an old old building which i love i love that old look but make it new yeah and it's all brick walls in there i love it has a sun room sold i will take it and i the big thing for me is i want to be able to pay for it without a roommate first and then find someone to live with after okay place okay so this was sold for me and i applied and i got it and then And the dude goes, well, actually, it's like, it's two grand. It's not $1,600. So he all of a sudden is $400 more. $400 more. And I'm like, no, sorry, I can't pay that. That's not what I toured. You showed me the room and everything. And it's $400 more suddenly after I apply and get approved and pay for the credit check? Like, why?

01:32:12 - 01:32:15 | Speaker 2:

So is the guy the landlord or who is he?

01:32:15 - 01:32:22 | Speaker 4:

It's somebody representing an owner, I think. Like a real estate person. Yeah. Okay, so I feel like you need to go above his head

01:32:22 - 01:32:24 | Speaker 3:

because I feel like he's trying to make 400 quick bucks.

01:32:24 - 01:32:34 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. And I said to him. A month. Right, that's what I mean. That's a lot extra. Yeah. And this area's in downtown Ferndale too, so it's like I'm going to have to pay for parking.

01:32:34 - 01:32:54 | Speaker 2:

So he told you that the place was $1,600 a month for a two-bedroom. Then you got all excited. You toured it with him, looked at the place, said, I'm in, filled out the app, came back and said, I'm wrong on this. Did you see the ad for the place or anything?

01:32:55 - 01:33:05 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. There's an ad, and they don't have, since it's under construction, there's renderings of the place online. So I had to physically walk and see it. I don't even know what the ad results can look like.

01:33:05 - 01:33:07 | Speaker 2:

Did the ad say $1,600? Oh, yeah.

01:33:07 - 01:33:09 | Speaker 4:

Oh, okay. Yeah, there you go. $1,600.

01:33:10 - 01:33:12 | Speaker 2:

Where's Attorney General Dana Nessel?

01:33:12 - 01:33:34 | Speaker 4:

I need her right now. There's another ad, though, that says a higher price, but it doesn't specify which unit. There's like, I think there's like 12 units in the building. And the one that is $1,600 is in the basement and there's no windows. And I'm like, heck no. I'm a depression, girly. I need light. Call me crazy, but like, isn't $1,600 a lot for an apartment? Yes, it is.

01:33:34 - 01:33:35 | Speaker 3:

But not in that area.

01:33:35 - 01:33:53 | Speaker 4:

I mean, rent in Ferndale and Royal Oak right now is like kind of ridiculous. It's insane. It's very sad, unfortunately. So many comments. You could literally own a house for that much money. But then again, I don't want to own a house because Megan told me not to.

01:33:53 - 01:34:02 | Speaker 3:

And also, we don't own houses around here. Those are bad decisions. We stay at home with family as long as possible in these parts. Stay with Graham and Gramps. Don't move out.

01:34:02 - 01:34:06 | Speaker 2:

Heather, this sounds like a scam, doesn't it?

01:34:07 - 01:34:26 | Speaker 1:

It sounds kind of fishy. My best friend literally called me last night telling me she just gave this guy $5,400 because he kept upping the price on her $800 a month lease. He's going to keep asking for more money. I would call the management company directly like a supervisor and find out.

01:34:27 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't even know if I'd call them. I think I'd call somebody like with the Better Business Bureau or, you know, I don't know. Who do you go to on this? south i think this has to be if so many people are texting us right now saying about rent control and how how high rent is gone and how people are changing because we're getting like 20 texts right now of people that said that they've had similar things happening why is our attorney general not looking into that or why is you know the prosecutors the local county prosecutors

01:35:00 - 01:35:08 | Speaker 5:

not looking into this what what's that Heather you can I have my friend is an

01:35:08 - 01:35:15 | Speaker 1:

attorney she recommends reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission if you look into it and figure out it is a scam and file a police report as soon as

01:35:15 - 01:35:28 | Speaker 5:

possible Wow what were you saying Megan and I really want to get nerdy and fight about this listen I'm just waiting for KP to move out because I'm moving in with their grandparents after this.

01:35:28 - 01:35:29 | Speaker 8:

Oh, yeah, I would. Right?

01:35:30 - 01:35:31 | Speaker 7:

BB, free 99.

01:35:32 - 01:35:36 | Speaker 5:

Do you know that they cook dinner and they eat every night at four o'clock in the afternoon?

01:35:36 - 01:35:45 | Speaker 7:

KP, do you even pay for groceries? Yes, I do. Oh, see, that sucks. See, you got to start stealing their groceries. I mean, I eat their dinner, but I make my own lunch and breakfast and snacks.

01:35:45 - 01:35:49 | Speaker 5:

But do you, when you buy groceries, do you use their senior citizen discount?

01:35:49 - 01:36:05 | Speaker 7:

No. Oh, you should. Because I'm not a senior. No, my grandpa's so funny, though. He'll be like, I saw this tea that you were drinking at Sam's, and I think I'm going to buy it in bulk so you could save some money maria what's up hey good morning guys good morning

01:36:05 - 01:36:23 | Speaker 4:

how you doing um good i was just texting in and i said this happened to me out in missouri when i was looking for an apartment as well um but i was actually looking for it with my dad and he called them out on a bait and switch and was able to get the price lower again hell yeah that's good can we

01:36:23 - 01:36:39 | Speaker 7:

have your dad to call up for this one too i got you kp you know what i texted mojo right away and i was like hey they did this and he's like you should negotiate i'm like well maybe she can my radio dad you can you can negotiate for me by the way i'm the worst negotiator ever i just want you

01:36:39 - 01:36:56 | Speaker 5:

to know that the only thing the only thing i will do in a negotiation is i and i never do the name drop and i work at the radio station any of that stuff like that but the only thing that i will do is I'll try to make them be aware of what we do because if they're a fan, maybe we'll get a little bit more of a discount.

01:36:56 - 01:37:07 | Speaker 6:

I never get anything. I went to go buy a table the other day, and the guy recognized me, and he's like, oh, I'm such a huge fan. I'm waiting for the, like, I'll give you $100 off this table. He's like, all right, I'll take the money now. And he took the money from me and walked away.

01:37:09 - 01:37:12 | Speaker 5:

Because the thing is, they think you're working on the radio, so they think he got money.

01:37:12 - 01:37:21 | Speaker 7:

Yes, yes, yes, everybody thinks we have money. Okay, but you think people would be nicer to the people with the big microphones in front? You know what I'm saying?

01:37:21 - 01:37:25 | Speaker 5:

Well, in this case, the guy better be because we're talking about it on the radio.

01:37:25 - 01:37:27 | Speaker 7:

I'm not going to say what it is.

01:37:27 - 01:37:56 | Speaker 5:

And I also will say this. Part of me wonders if because you are young, you are blonde, if this guy's taking advantage of you. Yes. I wonder if this guy's taking advantage of you. Maybe here's what we do. Maybe I go in there and look at the apartment for $1,600 and see if the guy gives it. And then when he gives it to me for $1,600, I jump out with John Quinones at What Would You Do from ABC. Oh, my gosh. Undercover.

01:37:56 - 01:37:59 | Speaker 7:

I love this experiment. I'm going to end up in the basement with no windows.

01:38:01 - 01:38:06 | Speaker 5:

You're going to end up at Grandma and Grandpa's house. I'm telling you I would never move out of there, would you?

01:38:06 - 01:38:07 | Speaker 8:

No.

01:38:07 - 01:38:08 | Speaker 5:

Listen.

01:38:08 - 01:38:13 | Speaker 8:

I regret moving out of my dad's house all the time. It's expensive on these streets.

01:38:13 - 01:38:21 | Speaker 5:

And if you met them, by the way, they're the nicest people in the world. and they kind of have a little bit of a hearing problem so they'll never hear, like if you bring somebody home. A lot of a hearing problem.

01:38:21 - 01:38:31 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I spend a lot of time looking at million dollar homes I can't afford on Zillow. Especially for somebody that eats generic cereal. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:38:32 - 01:38:38 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. What you got in this hour is dirty, Shannon? Well, Prince

01:38:38 - 01:40:26 | Speaker 3:

Harry is overseas. He is in London right now and he's suing the publisher of the tabloid The Daily Mirror over 33 articles published that he says were based on phone hacking or other illegal snooping methods and those stories represent just a fragment of decades of press that Harry says has warped his life and the lives of his friends and his loved ones his wife Meghan Markle in particular but he said having seen me growing up from being a baby and scrutinized my every move the tabloids have known the challenges and mental health struggles that I've had to deal with throughout my childhood and adult life, and for them to play on that and use it to their own advantage, he says, I think is criminal. Among those named in the witness statement as people that Prince Harry regularly exchanged voice messages with in particular, and I'll get to why this is important in a second, were his brother Prince William, his dad, his mom, the late Princess Diana, and his former girlfriend, Chelsea Davey. And so he, on the stand yesterday during this witness statement talked about this unusual phone activity that he was experiencing including listening voicemails listening to voicemails for the first time that didn't register on his phone as a new message so do you understand what I'm talking about there he said he would go into his voicemail and unless the little envelope symbol flashed up on my phone signaling to me that i had a new message he said sometimes that symbol would vanish but i hadn't listened to the voicemail yet so somebody else was getting into his phone to listen to voicemails before he could even do that um and he is i just saw him walk into high court again today so he's he's back on the stand today so i was looking at this thing i was telling you about

01:40:26 - 01:40:36 | Speaker 1:

about the reenactors that are doing this thing. They have a guy that's doing it. And the guy that is reenacting for this thing, I guess, was in some movies.

01:40:37 - 01:40:38 | Speaker 3:

He played Prince Harry?

01:40:38 - 01:40:42 | Speaker 1:

No, he was an extra in Sherlock Holmes, the movie with... Okay, wait.

01:40:43 - 01:40:43 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

01:40:43 - 01:40:45 | Speaker 1:

With, what's his name?

01:40:45 - 01:40:46 | Speaker 3:

I thought he was going to be somebody we knew.

01:40:46 - 01:40:56 | Speaker 1:

No, no, he was an extra in the thing. But he looks like Harry. Did you see what he looks like at all? No, no. Here, I'll show you a picture. Shannon, does he look like Harry? Oh, I can't see. Here, here.

01:40:56 - 01:41:09 | Speaker 4:

I mean, kind of. They have his face, like, shaded. This is Prince Harry in court, a Sky News special. I believe that, again, as a child, every single one of these articles. Not even a little bit. Why did they even do that?

01:41:10 - 01:41:12 | Speaker 3:

Why did they do that? It's so weird.

01:41:12 - 01:41:13 | Speaker 4:

Am I growing up?

01:41:13 - 01:41:14 | Speaker 1:

Why did they have to do that?

01:41:14 - 01:41:17 | Speaker 3:

Because Sky News is obsessed with him. Some of the Daily Mail.

01:41:17 - 01:41:25 | Speaker 1:

But also, the other thing, too, is think about if we didn't have Johnny Depp in a courtroom where we could watch every single day, we wouldn't even care about the trial.

01:41:25 - 01:41:40 | Speaker 3:

Absolutely. True. Very true, yeah. Taylor Swift's now ex-boyfriend, Matty Healy, on stage performing in Vienna with his band, the 1975, stopped the show after he saw fans holding up signs in support of him.

01:41:41 - 01:42:13 | Speaker 4:

The front had some very beautiful signs that said, you are loved. That was very, very kind of you. I'm sure that it's alluding to, as you know, I'm not very unlined at the moment, and I'm sure people have just been calling me a **** relentlessly. And I've not been online, but what I have been with is with my boys. And honestly, as much as I appreciate that, it's so beautiful. And I thank you, but I don't need it because I've got them.

01:42:13 - 01:43:28 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, in case you missed the news in last hour's Dirty, Taylor Swift is being linked to L.A. Lakers guard Austin Reeves after they were allegedly spotted together at a bar in Arkansas this week. All we know about that right now. Andy Cohen under fire for belittling the real housewives of New Jersey ladies during the season 13 reunion. Bravo fans taken to social media to slam the Watch What Happens Live host for specifically yelling at Teresa Giudice or Giudice, however she says her name nowadays. Some were saying maybe he needs to be put on pause for a little while. Take a little sabbatical. Yeah, so fans accused Andy of screaming like a maniac, constantly losing his spit, et cetera, et cetera. That reunion show was filmed a while ago, and Andy says he recalls being at the end of his rope that day as an excuse for his behavior. He has since apologized, but he said, I think for all of you who are upset, have a seat in the middle of that for eight or ten hours, and then let's see how you handle it. He compared leading that reunion to being the parent of a toddler. The second portion of the three-part Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion airs Thursday at 8. Bravo, by the way.

01:43:28 - 01:43:36 | Speaker 1:

Those women are, I don't know, they're goofy. I like that he's calling them out for being idiots.

01:43:36 - 01:43:44 | Speaker 3:

Actress Elle Fanning, the younger sister of actress Dakota Fanning, said she lost a role as a teenager for a really disgusting reason.

01:43:45 - 01:44:08 | Speaker 2:

I was 16. I was literally 16 years old. And this person said, oh, she didn't get the father-daughter road trip comedy because she's unf***able. I was like, at 16. Yes. So many stories like this, you know, of course, that I have heard. And I've talked to people about this. I mean, I laugh at it now. I'm like, what a disgusting pig.

01:44:08 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 3:

Gross. She said these days she feels like her voice matters. Sorry, go ahead, Megan. I love those roundtable interviews that they do. The Hollywood Reporter. They're so good. Every single one of them is so interesting. And Kylie Jenner hopped on TikTok yesterday to do one of those what's in my bag videos. And instead of like pulling out receipts or mints or spare change, lip gloss, whatever, from the bottom of her designer purse, she pulls out a toddler sized Rolex that belonged to Stormi, her five year old daughter with Travis Scott. The gold Rolex Day-Date watch, just for the record, runs about $40,000. Just in her purse. Just there. So relatable. Just in her purse. Right, yep. 01:45:47 - 01:45:48 | Speaker 3:

Thank you.

01:45:48 - 01:45:49 | Speaker 2:

How are you doing?

01:45:50 - 01:45:51 | Speaker 3:

Good. Good. How are you?

01:45:51 - 01:45:54 | Speaker 2:

Good. Who are you most excited to see?

01:45:55 - 01:46:02 | Speaker 3:

I'm actually kind of excited to see Ricky Martin. I'm a little older. My daughters love Pitbull, though, so that's when I was starting to see it.

01:46:02 - 01:46:18 | Speaker 2:

You know what? Honestly, Ricky Martin would be kind of fun to see, too. Remember when Ricky Martin was a kind of a, well, he was like the heartthrob of heartthrobs. Oh, yeah. What was your song? Was it She Bangs or Livin' La Vida Loca? Which one did you like better?

01:46:19 - 01:46:20 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, the Livin' La Vida Loca.

01:46:20 - 01:46:24 | Speaker 2:

Livin' La Vida Loca. How old are you? You don't sound like you're an old person.

01:46:25 - 01:46:26 | Speaker 3:

I'm 38.

01:46:27 - 01:46:35 | Speaker 2:

You're 38. She's 38, by the way. Don't do this to us. We cannot make 38 old, okay? You've got to stop saying stuff like that about yourself.

01:46:36 - 01:46:37 | Speaker 1:

She straight up sounds like she's 19.

01:46:37 - 01:46:55 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, seriously. And 38 is like 19. 38 is the new 19, just so you know that. I'll take it. All right. So you are not old. You are somebody that is young, vibrant, and fun, and you're going to go. And are you going to take your daughter with you, you say?

01:46:55 - 01:46:56 | Speaker 3:

I am, yes.

01:46:56 - 01:47:12 | Speaker 2:

All right, here we go. I want you to get it. I want you to get excited with us. Make yourself feel young again. Here we go. You ready? Come on, Nicole from Oxford. Sing. Live in La Vida Loca.

01:47:17 - 01:47:20 | Speaker 3:

Live in La Vida Loca. It's all different.

01:47:21 - 01:47:26 | Speaker 2:

And it's a color mocha. She will be like you are.

01:47:26 - 01:47:30 | Speaker 3:

There you go, nice job

01:47:30 - 01:47:33 | Speaker 1:

It's before 8 p.m. and like I got nothing else going on

01:47:33 - 01:47:38 | Speaker 2:

Do you find yourself, by the way, as a 38-year-old Are you like in bed at 9 o'clock at night?

01:47:39 - 01:47:40 | Speaker 3:

No, I'm actually, I'm a night owl

01:47:40 - 01:47:50 | Speaker 2:

Are you? Okay What is it that you do now that makes you consider yourself old? Or what is it that is making you feel like you're old?

01:47:51 - 01:47:55 | Speaker 3:

I don't know, I have four kids So running around juggling all that

01:47:55 - 01:48:13 | Speaker 2:

You gotta stop that I'm seriously, it's a mindset. You got to make sure that you feel like, you know, you got to do fun things and enjoy yourself and, you know, pretend like they're somebody else's kids. If that helps you. All right. We love you so much. Thank you.

01:48:13 - 01:48:14 | Speaker 3:

Thank you. I love you guys, too.

01:48:15 - 01:48:16 | Speaker 2:

All right. Take care of yourself.

01:48:16 - 01:48:17 | Speaker 3:

You too.

01:48:17 - 01:48:46 | Speaker 2:

Bye. Mojo in the morning. You know who, to me, is always the guy that has a story to tell that is meant to actually be like this great moment of him being a really good husband, a good dad, and then he always ends up stepping in dog doo-doo, you know, when he does it? It's Mike. Hello. And yesterday might have been the Mike of Mike stories that happened to you.

01:48:47 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 1:

Okay. So we have neighbors now who have college-age kids, and they're over there all the time. Their friends are over there all the time. There's always a bunch of people there, and it's fine. I honestly don't mind that at all, even a little bit. College-age sons, daughters? I think both. I think one of each, actually, and they have friends come over. And so yesterday and the day before, these two girls were in the front yard, and they were playing golf. I don't know if I've mentioned this, but my daughter and I went golfing last weekend, and she's super into it. She wants to learn how to play real golf, and I'm not a pro or anything, so I'm like, you know what? These two girls are playing golf in the front yard. They have golf clothing on. They weren't just dressed regularly. I'm like, I'm going to walk over, and I'm going to introduce them, and I'm going to see if they'll give her some tips because maybe from a girl, from a woman who plays golf, that might sink in a little bit more. So I go over there, and I'm not exaggerating. I'm talking 30 seconds to a minute. I'm there. And all of a sudden, like, four more girls come out of this house. So now I'm standing in their front yard with, like, six college-aids girls teaching my daughter how to play golf. Yeah, wow, that's really convenient. Right, right.

01:50:00 - 01:50:37 | Speaker 2:

So then guess who else walks out 30 seconds later? My wife with our child in her hand and my son in her hand. Oh, yeah. Oh, she was – the look. If the look could kill, it would have – oh, my gosh. She was so furious with me. And I instantly turned around and went – and turned back around. And Cecily's, like, talking to him and chatting, and they – you know, she's waving to mom. And I'm, like, now trying to get Cecily out of there. I'm like, hey, all right, Seth, let's go talk to mom. Let's head back. Let's head back. And she was, at that point, just interested in learning golf. And there was no coming back from that.

01:50:37 - 01:50:51 | Speaker 3:

So here it is. It's a situation where you're going, and you're just trying to be nice, and you're trying to teach your daughter golf. By how many girls were out there at the time that you were there?

01:50:51 - 01:51:34 | Speaker 2:

There was only two. It was like the girl who lives there and then her friend. And then I happen to sit out there for, like, a minute or two, and next thing I know, four more girls come out. The whole sword. Yeah. And they're loving it because Cecily's, you know, nine, so they're like, she's little, and they like teaching her things, and they're having fun with her, and I'm standing there, like, enjoying that moment of her learning how to play golf, and my wife was not happy with it. Did you have to try to explain yourself then? I said the thing that you should never say in that situation, which is it's not what it looks like. It's not what it looks like. That's the only thing I shouldn't have said, and that's the first thing I went to.

01:51:34 - 01:51:41 | Speaker 3:

Because it was never going to be honored by your wife that that was the case.

01:51:41 - 01:51:46 | Speaker 2:

No. My wife doesn't even play golf, but she's like, I'll teach him golf.

01:51:46 - 01:51:56 | Speaker 3:

Mike is the young gravy of his neighborhood. Have you noticed that? Like they were chipping in the front yard. They were chipping.

01:51:56 - 01:51:57 | Speaker 2:

Chip shops. Yeah.

01:51:57 - 01:52:02 | Speaker 3:

Chip shops. They were playing golf, Allie. A bunch of college. By the way, were they also pillow fighting, too? Right.

01:52:03 - 01:52:05 | Speaker 2:

I think that's what was going on through her head.

01:52:05 - 01:52:06 | Speaker 3:

Some boy shorts.

01:52:07 - 01:52:07 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, right?

01:52:09 - 01:52:20 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. Everything's just in slow-mo like that. Did you do the whole, Cecily, tell mom, we were just here for a second just golfing, right? I said, what did you learn, Cecily?

01:52:20 - 01:52:26 | Speaker 2:

Tell her what you learned. And she's like She's like Uh well I don't know But I really liked her skirt That she had on

01:52:26 - 01:52:30 | Speaker 1:

Dad said he liked her skirt too

01:52:30 - 01:52:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh that is so funny Next thing you know The sprinklers come on

01:52:36 - 01:52:54 | Speaker 3:

By the way Do you ever Now that you know That they live there Do you ever like Think to yourself That you can never ever Go over and say hi To them ever again Because at least During summertime While they're on vacation You can't have the college kids, like, all, you know, be hanging out there.

01:52:54 - 01:53:04 | Speaker 2:

I don't, yeah, I don't really go. I mean, it's the neighbor with the dog, so I don't really talk to him that much anyways. I do say hi to the wife and to the husband every now and then. Like, I keep my distance for the most part.

01:53:04 - 01:53:07 | Speaker 1:

I can't wait until they're all outside tanning on their towels for the summer.

01:53:07 - 01:53:08 | Speaker 3:

On their driveway.

01:53:08 - 01:53:14 | Speaker 1:

And there's Mike, all of a sudden, that grass that he's really trying to get, you know, going needs to be mowed.

01:53:14 - 01:53:18 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, or he's washing his car. Right? How soon, by the way, until Mike gets binoculars?

01:53:19 - 01:53:24 | Speaker 2:

No. Never. That's one of those packages you have sent to the other house

01:53:24 - 01:54:03 | Speaker 3:

You know what's funny about that is that In our neighborhood we have at the end of the block And I don't think that they live there anymore But we had the college girls that lived down the street from us They were like cute Keldean college girls That lived down the street from us And I never noticed who they were Except for we live on a dead end And we're kind of in the middle of the dead end I would notice them driving by And I saw them And they were probably, I'm guessing, like Joe's age So they're probably now in their 20s And this is when we moved into the neighborhood And every time that they would drive by Chelsea would say to me That I would excessively wave at them

01:54:03 - 01:54:08 | Speaker 1:

Like how? Like I would go Like I'd get all excited

01:54:08 - 01:54:14 | Speaker 2:

But then They're trying to be nice and they have energy No, let me explain what he just did

01:54:14 - 01:54:17 | Speaker 1:

It's like the little kid at a choir concert That sees his parents in the audience

01:54:17 - 01:54:55 | Speaker 3:

Like I was excited There's vibrance in our neighborhood. There's attractive people that live at the end of the block. I've noticed that they've, I think, since moved out. I think it was the Kassar family or something like that. I think they moved out of the neighborhood. But real quick, can I just ask this question? Are you, even though Mike's 30 years old, good-looking young guy, young family, is it creepy or are there the creepy guys that go and hang out with the college kids? Because I would want to, I'd rather hang out with those guys. I'd rather hang out with the kids that are, you know, Mike, you hang out with young college girls at our parties that we have. At our parties.

01:54:55 - 01:54:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. So young.

01:54:58 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 3:

And we don't ever think anything.

01:55:00 - 01:55:05 | Speaker 2:

weird of us doing that, but if it's in your neighborhood, you all of a sudden have to be more responsible, don't you?

01:55:05 - 01:55:14 | Speaker 3:

If my wife came home and I was sitting on the back porch having drinks with the neighbor's kids, I feel like that would be weird. You would be in a lot of trouble. That would be weird.

01:55:14 - 01:55:37 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. But what if they were all boys? What if you and Allie lived right by Chelsea and I, and so Luke and his buddies are hanging out, or Jacob and stuff? Allie wouldn't think much of it. They don't have boobs. It wouldn't. Yeah, but it's, you know. They do. Not the same. Allie would never think much of the fact that you're hanging out with a bunch of younger people.

01:55:38 - 01:55:41 | Speaker 3:

If it was my kids' friends, I think that's different, right? No, no.

01:55:41 - 01:55:45 | Speaker 2:

But I'm saying if it was a bunch of boys that were in the hood, you know?

01:55:45 - 01:55:58 | Speaker 3:

Some of the guys have asked to come over and play basketball in our basketball court, and I've allowed that, but I didn't go out there to go play with them. Yeah. I don't know. Maybe it isn't weird, but it just feels like it's weird to hang out with somebody else's kids. All right.

01:55:58 - 01:56:20 | Speaker 2:

I want you to call us up right now, and I want you to call us up and tell us about how your neighbor either hangs out with you and you're the young college kids in the neighborhood, or I want you to call us up and tell us about how your husband goes over and hangs out with the young people in the neighborhood or hangs out with the younger girls.

01:56:20 - 01:56:41 | Speaker 3:

Because to be fair, my neighbor across the street, his name's Mike, and his wife's name is Mary, an amazing couple. They're an older couple, almost retired from Grand Valley. They have kids that are my age, and I hang out with him all the time. Yeah, and you hang out with his kids, but that's okay because they're your age, right? But I hang out with him, so he would be doing the same thing, sort of. Yeah.

01:56:41 - 01:57:07 | Speaker 2:

He'd be hanging out with a younger guy like me. I would get it. I would get this all the time when Joe would come over to the house with Jed, you know, back before they moved down to Tampa and then they would bring over like their friends and girlfriends and stuff. I would find myself wanting to hang out with them. But then if it came to a point where it's like girlfriends brought more friends, it did feel like a little bit like, OK, maybe I shouldn't be, you know.

01:57:07 - 01:57:07 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:57:08 - 01:57:14 | Speaker 2:

But I don't know. But I think that's just so funny that Allie busts you on that.

01:57:14 - 01:57:14 | Speaker 1:

Perfect timing.

01:57:15 - 01:57:24 | Speaker 2:

With both kids in her arms. And Megan, you know his intentions. Terrible. Every time. He was there for golf. Thank you so much. He was there for golf purposes.

01:57:24 - 01:57:33 | Speaker 3:

Was he? Yeah. Here's the thing. I call out Mojo all the time for stirring the pot, and then as soon as it comes to a mic topic, I'm like, let's stir a whistle spoon.

01:57:37 - 01:58:35 | Speaker 2:

Want to be on 5 Lies Tell Your Mom? Text MOM to 95500, and we'll get you on next week's 5 Lies. That poor mom, I feel bad, but we got a good price. All right, it's Mojo on The Morning Show. Hey, real quick before we go any further, a very good friend of mine, and a good friend, actually, of the show has always been there for us. We've got to be there for him, and he's doing such great things to help out kids in the local schools. It's an organization that is called Defeat the Label. It's an anti-bullying organization. Goes in, educates, and tries to do what they can to make sure that they still get the word out. It's funny because I think with the way that things have been in this world, I feel like it's got to be crazier than ever what's going on in schools these days. Our good friend Jeff Sack was in with us right now.

01:58:35 - 01:58:36 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Jeff.

01:58:36 - 01:59:05 | Speaker 2:

How are you? My new friend. Good morning all. How you doing, Jeff? Jeff, so Defeat the Label has a really cool event that is happening a week from Friday. and you bring in like the funniest of the funny comedians to come in, which comedy is fun. A lot of people sometimes will consider it bullying, but it's not bullying. It's fun from the stage. It's not fun when people are making fun of another person one-on-one in school and stuff, right?

01:59:05 - 01:59:20 | Speaker 1:

Well, it's not fun when someone, it's a power trip. A bully is a power trip. Someone having power over somebody else. And, you know, I've been guilty myself. Everybody knows that. So maybe I should know, but when you're told to back off, you back off.

01:59:20 - 01:59:31 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. And you started to defeat the label when you would start going into schools, especially like with having kids that were in the public schools, and you saw what it was doing to kids.

01:59:31 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 1:

Well, I met with the leaders, a big public school education period, and when I met with schools, the three biggest problems were funding, drugs, and this bullying phenomenon that's gone nuts because of social media. and being brutally honest we can see what's happened it's not just kids it's it's the world today i don't recognize it's certainly not the childhood that i grew up with certainly not the child nobody in this room grew up with and it's pandemic and it doesn't

02:00:00 - 02:00:09 | Speaker 2:

stop after high school you don't get your diploma and bullying stopped it's it's every day you and i talk on the phone about it every day we can't believe what we see on tv we can't believe what

02:00:09 - 02:00:14 | Speaker 3:

we see when we talk to somebody or when or when we make a post on social media you know the social

02:00:14 - 02:00:30 | Speaker 2:

media bullies are out there right oh yeah sometimes i'll pick a fight or two i don't mind so who are you bringing in this time this time we're bringing in whitney cummings uh this is our seventh year. We lost a couple years to COVID, and she's a little raunchy, which means it'll be great.

02:00:30 - 02:00:37 | Speaker 1:

Are you a fan, Mike? I've seen her before, and she is absolutely... I saw her. I think she was with Chelsea Handler. She is absolutely hysterical.

02:00:38 - 02:00:46 | Speaker 3:

So Whitney Cummings is coming to town and is actually going to be doing stand-up, and the money is going to benefit Defeat the Label.

02:00:46 - 02:00:51 | Speaker 2:

Absolutely. Where's it at? It's at the soundboard at the Motor City... Dump, dump, dump.

02:00:52 - 02:00:52 | Speaker 1:

Yep.

02:00:52 - 02:00:57 | Speaker 2:

I actually just saw a show there.

02:00:57 - 02:01:00 | Speaker 1:

That's a great place to see a show, too. Every seat's a good seat.

02:01:02 - 02:01:08 | Speaker 2:

We have a couple left. Yes, we do. That's my Michigan State education coming out.

02:01:08 - 02:01:10 | Speaker 1:

When is the show? I didn't hear when.

02:01:10 - 02:01:30 | Speaker 3:

The show's a week from Friday. It's June 16th at 8 o'clock. All right, so Whitney Cummings, June 16th, 8 o'clock, Motor City Soundboard. Tickets are available right now at DefeatTheLabel.com. also at Ticketmaster.com. So if you want to get tickets, it'll be a great night to go out. And do you know who the emcee is?

02:01:31 - 02:01:36 | Speaker 2:

I've heard that he's not funny. He's very funny. I'm talking to him right now. Are you doing that?

02:01:36 - 02:01:39 | Speaker 3:

I'm an emcee, yeah. Really? That's awesome. Good for you.

02:01:39 - 02:01:52 | Speaker 2:

Special thanks to the entire iHeartRadio people as well. Colleen is a champ. She's nice. And she gets at what's going on out there as well. So all you guys from the bottom of my heart, my iHeart,

02:01:52 - 02:02:22 | Speaker 3:

02:02:22 - 02:02:33 | Speaker 2:

back my money he wouldn't take the money he had he just was so impressed by what was going on and uh and um it was overwhelming quite frankly and we kept a friendship alive that's why he's

02:02:33 - 02:02:48 | Speaker 3:

so funny i give him all his lines now so if a school is listening or for somebody that's you know a parent or whatever and defeat the label they need you know want to get in contact can they get in contact with you guys and what will you guys do if they do oh we we take every post

02:02:48 - 02:03:18 | Speaker 2:

any phone calls go to defeat to label.com all the information's there in fact we're going to expand it because it's all about mental health today it's much more than bullying and we're going to probably rebrand it next year it's devastating what's going on suicides uh depression missing school 160 000 kids don't go to school each day because they're afraid to go it's pathetic yeah All right. So we didn't just, we grew up, we just didn't want to go to school. Right. Right.

02:03:18 - 02:03:26 | Speaker 3:

Well, you wondered though, sometimes too, if maybe when we did grow up, it probably some of it could have been even this and we just, and it just wasn't talked about. Yeah.

02:03:27 - 02:03:44 | Speaker 2:

That's the thing. If you're a student or a child, look at your kid's behavior. If it changes, something's going on and my heart bleeds for anybody that has something going on and there's better days ahead. I can assure you of that. So don't ever give up.

02:03:44 - 02:04:32 | Speaker 3:

Whitney Cummings, next Friday, tickets available, defeatthelabel.com or ticketmaster.com. Jeff, hang out, say hello. Jeff is one of those guys. He's come on the show before to talk about a lot of the philanthropic things that he's done, and when he comes in and comes on the air with us, I'll leave the station at like 1230, and Jeff will still be here. It'll be, like, hanging in the bosses office and kind of chilling out. I have to check out Colleen's food. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. All right. Tomorrow is War of the Roses at 7 and 9 o'clock, Bustin' Cheaters. Make sure that you're listening for that. We're going to get a look at the last dirty of the morning. What do you got, Shannon?

02:04:32 - 02:04:58 | Speaker 1:

Everybody is talking about this story this morning. Is there a new dude in Taylor Swift's life? The internet seems to think so, and they think it is L.A. Lakers guard Austin Reeves. They were allegedly spotted together at a bar in Arkansas where he is from. He's eight years younger than her, by the way. And if you're going, okay, Austin Reeves, who the heck is he? They call him Hillbilly Kobe or White Mamba. White Mamba. By the way.

02:05:00 - 02:05:13 | Speaker 3:

The Kardashians are now, right now, speaking out against this. This is a quote this morning. Leave our NBA stars alone. We don't ever try to date your musicians in skinny jeans. Stop this.

02:05:14 - 02:05:30 | Speaker 1:

Austin's brother, by the way, Spencer Reeves, calling attention to this online theory by just writing lots of laughing emojis under a tweet about this potential new couple. So I don't know if he's just being coy or if he's saying there's no way in hell this is real.

02:05:31 - 02:05:44 | Speaker 3:

And I think he's got a girlfriend or something. There's talk of that. Austin Reyes? Yeah, I thought that I heard that rumor. But I don't know. Maybe they recently split up. The guy obviously has, like, grown in popularity since the playoffs.

02:05:44 - 02:05:47 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah, he does have a girlfriend and a barber. Let's see. She ain't Taylor.

02:05:48 - 02:06:14 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I'm looking at Taylor's guys that she's in the past been rumored to be with. I don't see one athlete on this whole thing. I mean, I see Calvin Harris DJ. I see performers like Joe Jonas, Harry Styles, Maddie Healy. Then you've got the actors, Jake Gyllenhaal, Tom Hiddleston, Taylor Lautner, Corey Monteith.

02:06:15 - 02:06:18 | Speaker 1:

She was Corey Monteith? I don't remember that.

02:06:19 - 02:06:22 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to tell you that maybe this is it. I don't know.

02:06:23 - 02:07:31 | Speaker 1:

His girlfriend's really cute and they're high school sweethearts. Oh, that would be sad. That would be super sad. Okay, Morgan Wallen is good to go. He's been cleared to talk and sing again by his doctors a couple of weeks after he announced that he was going on vocal rest and would delay his tour. He wrote on social media yesterday, we back. He has yet to announce when he's going to perform again. I did notice that he is scheduled to perform June 22nd in Chicago, so I'm guessing that'll be his first time back on stage. Somebody else who's back, DeMar Hamlin, the Buffalo Bills safety, was at practice with his teammates for the first time since going into a cardiac arrest back in January. Mike, you said that wouldn't happen. Yeah, and not just at practice. He was participating, actively participating in practice. The Bills hosted OTAs yesterday, and kind of a scary moment for Hamlin and the team. At one point, he reportedly struggled to get back to his feet after, I don't know what they were doing, but needed some assistance to get up. See? But he returned to the workout with his teammates, resumed drills, and the Bills athletic trainer said he was fine. He stumbled, he was fine.

02:07:31 - 02:07:46 | Speaker 3:

I have to tell you that. I think it's wonderful that he's back. He's doing what he loves. But any time that guy does go down with an injury, like in this case here at the OTAs, everybody's going to be worried about the guy and wonder what's going on.

02:07:46 - 02:07:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and I think we said this before, too. Could you imagine trying to hit that guy? I realize he's on defense, so he's going to be hitting other people. But could you imagine even playing against him? Going and blocking him and stuff like that. Yeah, you're not going to want to touch him.

02:07:58 - 02:08:01 | Speaker 3:

Maybe that's an advantage for the Buffalo Bills. You've got an advantage here.

02:08:01 - 02:08:09 | Speaker 2:

It's not fair. I don't know. He can do anything he wants in football. Anything he wants. He just shouldn't play anymore. It's not worth his life.

02:08:09 - 02:08:15 | Speaker 3:

Nuh-uh. But do you don't think that the doctors are smart enough to figure this thing out and have told him what to do and what not to do?

02:08:15 - 02:08:26 | Speaker 2:

I think everybody makes mistakes. Well, yeah, and I'm sure they warned him. They said there's a chance that this could happen again, but he's taking the risk by continuing to do it. I can only imagine his family.

02:08:27 - 02:08:28 | Speaker 3:

Do you know how much of a hero...

02:08:28 - 02:08:30 | Speaker 1:

Oh, they're saying lots of prayers before everything.

02:08:30 - 02:08:34 | Speaker 3:

Do you know how much of a hero I am that I came back after my heart surgery? Yeah.

02:08:35 - 02:08:39 | Speaker 1:

There's a lot of physical activity happening in this studio. I was going to say, do you think those are the same?

02:08:39 - 02:08:46 | Speaker 3:

I think those fingers go. People don't see this, but I am very active here right now. Those fingers are doing a 440. See that?

02:08:47 - 02:08:50 | Speaker 2:

Shannon, can you do me a fever? Yes. Can you just go tackle him real fast?

02:08:50 - 02:09:22 | Speaker 1:

Come on. Thank you. An L.A. federal court judge has sided with Dua Lipa and her label Warner Records ruling that there is insubstantial evidence that Dua Lipa broke copyright laws with her song Levitating. The issue here was this Florida reggae group called Article Sound System, and they basically said that Levitating copied their hook from their song called Live Your Life. And they're super similar.

02:09:24 - 02:09:26 | Speaker 2:

I didn't realize you changed songs.

02:09:26 - 02:09:28 | Speaker 1:

But the judge didn't think so.

02:09:29 - 02:09:33 | Speaker 3:

That judge is in collusion with the record label.

02:09:33 - 02:09:42 | Speaker 1:

Do you think sometimes these people sue just to get their music put out there more?

02:09:43 - 02:09:51 | Speaker 3:

Maybe, yeah. Maybe just to, like, be more noticed and people know who they are. That's pretty amazing.

02:09:51 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, this video is so darn funny. And it has gone viral this morning. This poor woman in Illinois was...

02:10:00 - 02:10:58 | Speaker 3:

literally caught with her pants around her ankles after she took a little tumble on a treadmill at the gym. Her name is Alyssa Conkle, and she said, I just, I wanted to go to the gym, get a little run in, and my pants got sucked off. Now, what happened here is she got on the treadmill, okay, and she set the machine to a level 10. A level 10 on the treadmill, okay. That is so darn fast. You can see this because of the security video She trips Falls to her knees on the conveyor belt Which is still going at a level 10 Now initially Thank goodness she was able to stop herself from flying off By grabbing the treadmill's handles And holding on for dear life But because the conveyor was going so quickly It ended up pulling Her leggings over Her hips, her butt, her thighs Her knees So all you see is her thong and her bare butt

02:10:58 - 02:11:00 | Speaker 1:

It's on the treadmill.

02:11:00 - 02:11:22 | Speaker 3:

Thankfully, somebody saw this happen and came over and helped get her up, and she pulled her pants up. But everybody saw her butt. This is why we don't go to the gym. That's right. This is why. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on MojoInTheMorning.com. Celebrity Dirt, directly from the source. This Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:11:22 - 02:12:40 | Speaker 2:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning Show. So Lydia from our show just had something happen to her or was talked about happening to her that we're hoping that she puts her foot down on. She is, by the way, like the nicest person in the world, and I feel like we all have to have her back. Otherwise, she'll get walked over.

02:12:40 - 02:13:29 | Speaker 1:

I sure will. It looks like I am being walked over. So my boyfriend, gas station guy, who you guys know, him and I have been planning on taking a trip to Torch Lake. So we went last year and spent the day with some friends, and it was his friends, my friends, and we had a great time. I thought everything was good, so we decided we were going to plan a trip this year. So I was going through the Airbnb process, looking through what we can do, and I booked everything. Well, it turns out I got a call yesterday that I'm no longer allowed to go on this said trip, and I was really upset until my boyfriend told me that it was because his friend is not allowed to bring his girlfriend, so that means I can no longer go on this trip, and it's no girls allowed, or else this friend cannot go.

02:13:29 - 02:13:36 | Speaker 2:

Wait, so it was going to be you, your boyfriend, and then a bunch of other people?

02:13:36 - 02:13:44 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so it was going to be my friends and his friends, and then their girlfriends and my friend's boyfriends. Yeah. Yeah, nothing wrong with that.

02:13:45 - 02:13:49 | Speaker 2:

And then one of the guys or a couple of the guys can't bring their girlfriends?

02:13:49 - 02:13:50 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:13:50 - 02:13:54 | Speaker 2:

So then that means that the girlfriends have put their foot down saying that no girlfriends then can go?

02:13:54 - 02:14:04 | Speaker 1:

No girlfriends can go, or else this said friend of my boyfriend, gas station guy, will not go. So the guys are like, well, it's either the girls or the guys.

02:14:04 - 02:14:07 | Speaker 2:

But wait a second, you're the one planning the trip

02:14:07 - 02:14:20 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you booked everything I made the dates and everything I even made sure that I was free that weekend They were all free, nobody had anything planned And now I'm the one screwed over

02:14:20 - 02:14:26 | Speaker 2:

How do you plan the trip and then they tell you That the person that's planning the trip can't go on the trip

02:14:26 - 02:14:29 | Speaker 1:

Right, I feel like that's a bunch of BS

02:14:29 - 02:14:38 | Speaker 2:

But you know what's going to end up happening If we don't stand behind Lydia on this one here because she sounds like she's a little tough here right now, she'll be like, okay, and then he'll be going, and she won't go.

02:14:38 - 02:14:41 | Speaker 1:

I did say okay. I didn't even make it a big deal.

02:14:41 - 02:14:50 | Speaker 3:

I didn't even make it a big deal. So wait, what are all of the other girls, like your girlfriends in this situation saying? Because I'm sure they were all, had already made plans to go that weekend as well.

02:14:50 - 02:14:53 | Speaker 1:

They just said we should go on our own little trip. And so I decided.

02:14:54 - 02:14:56 | Speaker 2:

Why don't you guys go to Torch, where did you say you're going?

02:14:57 - 02:14:58 | Speaker 1:

We were supposed to go to Torch Lake.

02:14:58 - 02:15:04 | Speaker 2:

Why don't you guys go to Torch Lake? And make those guys go find their own place to go to. You guys can have your own little girls trip there.

02:15:04 - 02:15:06 | Speaker 4:

We can have some hot guy drive our boats.

02:15:07 - 02:15:09 | Speaker 2:

Wait, are you friends with the other girls?

02:15:10 - 02:15:10 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I am.

02:15:10 - 02:15:16 | Speaker 2:

So why is the one girl not going? What's her reasoning for not going?

02:15:16 - 02:15:21 | Speaker 4:

Her parents are really strict. So as Chaldeans, I mean, some of us are allowed to go out of town overnight and some aren't.

02:15:21 - 02:15:25 | Speaker 2:

Why doesn't she just do like what most Chaldean girls do and lie to their parents?

02:15:25 - 02:15:43 | Speaker 4:

I offer to drive back in one day, do a whole day trip. Like, take her there one day, we spend the day there, and then we take her back. That was really nice of you. Yeah, but, I mean, not that I really wanted to have to do that, but I was offering to do it just so we could all spend time together. Yeah. And it was still a no, so.

02:15:43 - 02:15:50 | Speaker 2:

I have to tell you that this is, like, the nicest human being in the world. I know. That she'd be willing to do that. I mean, is that amazing?

02:15:50 - 02:15:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but he's pretty nice. At the same time, don't talk me up. I'm sweating over here. At the same time, I would rather drive back than not be able to go at all

02:15:59 - 02:16:04 | Speaker 2:

No, that's not even fair in itself Gas station guy should be the one driving her to and from

02:16:04 - 02:16:13 | Speaker 3:

I also don't think it's fair, though, for that girl to say Because then it changed based on the rule that she's putting into place for her boyfriend

02:16:13 - 02:16:16 | Speaker 2:

Why does she not trust the other girls around her boyfriend?

02:16:16 - 02:16:27 | Speaker 4:

No, I think it's her boyfriend who feels like he doesn't want to go because he doesn't want to upset her if she were to change her mind or maybe she sees something on social media and feels FOMO. I don't know.

02:16:27 - 02:16:29 | Speaker 2:

All right, then let's change this all around.

02:16:30 - 02:16:31 | Speaker 4:

Because he gets kicked out of the truck.

02:16:31 - 02:16:32 | Speaker 2:

I think that, yeah.

02:16:32 - 02:16:33 | Speaker 4:

Should we kick him out?

02:16:33 - 02:16:41 | Speaker 2:

Lose him. Yeah. What was that, the show Survivor? Yeah. This is like Survivor. Vote him off the island. Yeah.

02:16:41 - 02:16:44 | Speaker 3:

They're both voted off so the rest of you guys can all go together.

02:16:44 - 02:17:03 | Speaker 2:

What was the guy's name that was the host of that show? Jeff Probst. Jeff Probst. We need to have Jeff Probst hosting a show like this where the Chaldean guy without his girlfriend can't go because the girlfriend can't go. Or why don't you instead, you offered to drive this girl to and from. How far is Torch Lake from here?

02:17:03 - 02:17:05 | Speaker 4:

It's a freaking three-hour drive.

02:17:05 - 02:17:07 | Speaker 2:

That's a seven-hour day, isn't it?

02:17:07 - 02:17:12 | Speaker 4:

Wait, wait, wait. Speaking of Torch Lake, it's time to put out his torch. Yeah.

02:17:12 - 02:17:21 | Speaker 2:

Why don't you make him just go for the day? He can day drive with her and then drive her back.

02:17:21 - 02:17:24 | Speaker 3:

Yes! Hey, that is a good point.

02:17:24 - 02:17:25 | Speaker 2:

See that? I got some of them.

02:17:25 - 02:17:29 | Speaker 3:

But now you kind of just want to do a girl's trip, don't you? Oh, yeah. I'm not going on that trip anymore.

02:17:30 - 02:17:46 | Speaker 2:

It's too hard to be a Kellyanne. What's up, John? Who's screaming in the background there, John? That's my two-year-old. Tell your two-year-old that we're playing a game of Survivor right now. And they must be quiet This is a professional radio show Dad's about to speak What's going on?

02:17:47 - 02:18:16 | Speaker 1:

Hey, not much How you doing? I was just listening to the radio About the whole trip thing I've been to Torch Lake It's not bad It's a nice day out Or a nice weekend if you go But if this guy wants to just plan guys out Since Lydia planned everything apparently Why didn't she just take her girlfriends And go to that And tell his guy friends To go plan something else You know what I mean? Just because one girl doesn't want to make, you know, doesn't want to go and makes everybody else have to change their plans? Hell no. I mean, heck no. Sorry. Yeah, it's okay.

02:18:17 - 02:18:38 | Speaker 2:

Do not swear. There's a strip club out there. They can go to the strip club. Wait, is there a strip club up there? Mike! Really? I'm just giving ideas. No! Maybe there's more to this. Maybe the Chaldean guys want a guy's weekend away. And maybe gas station guy had some ulterior motives here.

02:18:38 - 02:18:41 | Speaker 4:

Let me catch him at the strip club. He's single after that.

02:18:41 - 02:18:44 | Speaker 2:

Would you not? By the way, you wouldn't allow him to go to a strip club?

02:18:44 - 02:18:46 | Speaker 4:

Nope. No. I don't like that.

02:18:46 - 02:18:50 | Speaker 2:

Why? He's just looking. There's no touching that goes into those.

02:18:50 - 02:18:52 | Speaker 4:

No, you don't need to look. You don't need to touch.

02:18:53 - 02:18:54 | Speaker 2:

He's helping the flow of economy.

02:18:55 - 02:19:01 | Speaker 1:

That's right. Kevin. Exactly. How do you drive your boat if your girlfriend's been out there? What's the deal with that?

02:19:01 - 02:19:07 | Speaker 2:

Yes. By the way, you know what we should do is we should hire somebody from the strip club to drive the boats for the girls.

02:19:08 - 02:19:10 | Speaker 4:

That's right. I'll do that. Let's do that instead.

02:19:11 - 02:19:27 | Speaker 2:

Yes. I just feel bad for Lydia that this weekend could end up being, or this week, was it a long weekend? Could end up being screwed up all because of one girl with the overprotective parents that just can't come up with a good enough lie to tell her family.

02:19:27 - 02:19:31 | Speaker 3:

And a boyfriend that wouldn't put up and drive her to and from for the day.

02:19:33 - 02:19:44 | Speaker 2:

Do you ever, I know you have had to keep gas station guy from your dad, like you do not see him, but your mom is pretty good about covering for you on stuff like this, right?

02:19:44 - 02:19:45 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, she is.

02:19:45 - 02:19:48 | Speaker 2:

So where will your dad think that you are when you're gone for the weekend up at Torch Lake?

02:19:48 - 02:19:53 | Speaker 4:

Out of town with the girls, which will now be happening because there's going to be no guys there whatsoever.

02:19:53 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 2:

God, this is like complicated stuff. It feels like this Does this become

02:20:00 - 02:20:04 | Speaker 3:

like your life until the day that you guys decide if you're going to get married or not?

02:20:04 - 02:20:08 | Speaker 2:

I think so. I may be on the struggle bus for a little while.

02:20:08 - 02:20:18 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. Could you guys do that? The other ladies on the show, like Megan and Shannon? No. Could you lie to your parents about this or could you do this whole thing?

02:20:18 - 02:20:18 | Speaker 1:

No.

02:20:19 - 02:20:19 | Speaker 3:

You couldn't?

02:20:21 - 02:20:37 | Speaker 1:

No fun. I did when I was in high school because the rule was I was not allowed to date until I was 16. Well, then I was a freshman and like fell in love with this boy and my parents didn't want me to date. So I, for the first couple of times we went out, I said I was hanging out with his sister.

02:20:37 - 02:20:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:20:38 - 02:20:38 | Speaker 1:

Which I was not.

02:20:38 - 02:20:50 | Speaker 3:

By the way, can we also go back on this real quick? I saw the pictures of everybody from prom and there was a picture of all of us without our prom dates. Somebody did you see posted what your prom date looked like?

02:20:50 - 02:20:50 | Speaker 1:

Me?

02:20:51 - 02:20:51 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, did you see that?

02:20:52 - 02:20:53 | Speaker 1:

No, I sent KP that picture.

02:20:54 - 02:20:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you did? Yeah. With the guy in it?

02:20:55 - 02:20:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:20:56 - 02:21:07 | Speaker 3:

Oh, because then somebody actually reposted it with the guy in it. I don't know if it was a family member, the guy that you went to prom with looked like he was a 40-year-old guy losing his hair or something.

02:21:07 - 02:21:08 | Speaker 1:

No, he didn't.

02:21:08 - 02:21:14 | Speaker 3:

He did, too. I swear to you. Go back. It's from the weekend, the Mojo in the Morning post.

02:21:14 - 02:21:18 | Speaker 1:

We're all frantically going to Facebook. I gave KP that photo to post.

02:21:18 - 02:21:24 | Speaker 3:

I know you did. It's on the picture of Shannon just by herself in the picture because she didn't have her picture in time.

02:21:24 - 02:21:28 | Speaker 1:

KP was replying to somebody's comment who said, where's her date?

02:21:28 - 02:21:28 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:21:28 - 02:21:34 | Speaker 1:

Wait, was that the boy that you were in love with in high school? I literally dated him for like seven and a half years. Nicest guy in the whole world.

02:21:34 - 02:21:39 | Speaker 3:

Here's a picture of the guy. He looks like he's like 55 years old that he went to prom with.

02:21:39 - 02:21:42 | Speaker 1:

He's so mean. No, he doesn't. He looks mean. He's a substitute.

02:21:42 - 02:21:43 | Speaker 3:

He looks mean.

02:21:43 - 02:21:47 | Speaker 1:

He was older than me by just a few years, though. He's a chaperone.

02:21:48 - 02:21:48 | Speaker 3:

Come on.

02:21:48 - 02:21:50 | Speaker 1:

No, don't make fun of him.

02:21:50 - 02:21:55 | Speaker 3:

Shannon looks like the same as she does today. Like she didn't, you know, age at all. This guy.

02:21:55 - 02:22:16 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but Shannon is an unfair character. comparison, because I swear to God, I think she has the Keanu Reeves jeans, where she just doesn't age. She might be a vampire, and she's just not telling us. I would like to find old Renaissance paintings and see if we can find Shannon somewhere, because she looks like a little Victorian child who just has never aged.

02:22:16 - 02:22:18 | Speaker 3:

Are we sure that's prom and not daddy-daughter dance?

02:22:19 - 02:22:24 | Speaker 1:

You guys are being so mean, and his parents listen religiously every day.

02:22:24 - 02:22:29 | Speaker 3:

What does he look like nowadays? Does he look younger? Is he like you? Does he look younger than he did back in the day or something?

02:22:29 - 02:22:34 | Speaker 1:

He kind of looks the same. He doesn't have hair. But other than that, he looks the same.

02:22:34 - 02:22:35 | Speaker 3:

Really?

02:22:35 - 02:22:36 | Speaker 1:

He actually looks better.

02:22:36 - 02:22:44 | Speaker 3:

All right, you're telling me. He had a good glow up. You're telling me that that man does not look like. Here, we got guests in the studio. Do not mean. He looks like an undercover cop. He looks old, right?

02:22:44 - 02:22:44 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:22:44 - 02:22:46 | Speaker 3:

He was older. 21 Jump Street.

02:22:46 - 02:22:47 | Speaker 1:

That's what it is.

02:22:47 - 02:22:54 | Speaker 3:

That is. Wait a second. He got a little youth. He looks like. Maybe he was the undercover. You guys are all dicks and are going to hell. No, maybe he was the undercover cop in school or something.

02:22:54 - 02:22:57 | Speaker 1:

Take that Jesus bracelet right off your wrist, Kev.

02:23:13 - 02:23:19 | Speaker 3:

Bungo in the morning. To shave or not to shave? Shannon.

02:23:19 - 02:23:20 | Speaker 1:

That is the question, Shannon.

02:23:21 - 02:23:33 | Speaker 3:

Needs to know the answer to. uh we're uh you know in the midst of beautiful weather and uh your man uh you have a little bit

02:23:33 - 02:24:14 | Speaker 1:

of a problem with something he does to groom himself well i'm trying to prove a point here because wes is the type that likes to shave off all of his like chest hair like he likes to have no hair like on the on the front of him okay um and i don't like when he does that and he knows that i like him to have like a little bit of hair right here especially since he's like salt and peppery so it's like gray and black you know um but he says that the hair makes him itchy and so he likes to get rid of all of it and so i've been telling him i think girls prefer a little chest hair he disagrees so i need a mojo in the morning listener poll to find the real answer here so we

02:24:14 - 02:24:19 | Speaker 3:

You need the hair pole going on here right now? Yes, the hair pole. Chest hair or no chest hair. The hair pole.

02:24:19 - 02:24:20 | Speaker 1:

It's very official.

02:24:20 - 02:24:24 | Speaker 3:

To figure out. So he shaves it all off.

02:24:24 - 02:24:33 | Speaker 1:

He shaves it all off. Now, when we went to Arizona a couple of weekends ago, we compromised and he trimmed it. So it was like really, really short.

02:24:34 - 02:24:34 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

02:24:35 - 02:24:41 | Speaker 1:

A little chest taper. I don't know. Is there a number or something that you do? Yeah, whatever.

02:24:41 - 02:24:53 | Speaker 3:

Does he trim it into any kind of like a design? No shape. Is he like how at Comerica Park they have like special designs in the outfield grass?

02:24:55 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 1:

And then sometimes he'll trim like his arms and stuff too. Wait, trim it. What are you doing?

02:24:59 - 02:25:08 | Speaker 3:

Does he trim his arms? arms or shave his arms? Because remember we used to get on Joey who used to be on our show. Right. Because Joey would like shave his arms, wouldn't he back in the day?

02:25:08 - 02:25:10 | Speaker 5:

No. Yes. I do

02:25:10 - 02:25:15 | Speaker 3:

believe Joey used to shave his arms. And we would be like, do you not have hair on your arms? All of a sudden he would get rid of the hair. No, he doesn't do that, but he does

02:25:15 - 02:25:18 | Speaker 5:

like trim it shorter, which I also

02:25:18 - 02:25:40 | Speaker 3:

think is strange. But you got to be careful, by the way, because take it from a guy who was always trimming and cutting underneath his armpits and always doing this when he was like a teenager or younger than teenager, preteen, it grows back more. And then it grows back where it grows back gray. You've got to be careful of that.

02:25:40 - 02:25:43 | Speaker 5:

See, I like the gray. You'll get grayer. The more gray, the

02:25:43 - 02:25:56 | Speaker 3:

better. You'll get grayer hair on your chest. What? You get gray chest hair? If you shave and do that, that's why you've got to do the waxing or lasers. See, I just use the

02:25:56 - 02:26:03 | Speaker 2:

manscaper or whatever. There you go. It's like a Level, I don't even know what it is, level one, level two? The Manscaper shaver? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

02:26:03 - 02:26:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's still shaving. So what you need to do is you need to go to, like, somebody that can, like, wax it for you or maybe good old-fashioned nair.

02:26:11 - 02:26:13 | Speaker 5:

No, I don't want it. Do not use nair. I don't want bald.

02:26:13 - 02:26:14 | Speaker 2:

I want a little chest hair.

02:26:15 - 02:26:20 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, see? You're proving my point. I'm full chest hair. It's taco meat season over here. What?

02:26:21 - 02:26:24 | Speaker 2:

Does it come out of the top of your shirt like that? No, that's not crazy like that.

02:26:24 - 02:26:28 | Speaker 5:

Let me see your chest hair. What are we working with? Why'd you look at me like that?

02:26:28 - 02:26:29 | Speaker 3:

You for sure? You for sure? Yeah.

02:26:29 - 02:26:30 | Speaker 5:

You looking at me? Yeah.

02:26:30 - 02:26:42 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. But that's not fair. That's not fair. Black guys have better chest hair than white guys. Black guys, it's different. What do you mean? What does your chest hair look like? It's not out of control. I got like, you know, like ugly white man chest hair.

02:26:42 - 02:26:43 | Speaker 2:

Teen Wolf?

02:26:43 - 02:26:43 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

02:26:44 - 02:26:45 | Speaker 2:

Kind of. Oh, my God, I got a gray chest hair.

02:26:46 - 02:26:48 | Speaker 3:

It's the worst. I'm telling you. Oh, my God. That's because you used the manscaper.

02:26:49 - 02:26:52 | Speaker 6:

No. Katie. I love listening to Mike in Current Crisis.

02:26:54 - 02:26:56 | Speaker 3:

Katie, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning.

02:26:57 - 02:27:10 | Speaker 4:

I agree with Shannon. It's got to be nicely groomed and trimmed, but it's got to be there. It's got to be there. You've got to look like a man. Yes. However, back hair, back hair has got to be gone. All gone. Agreed.

02:27:10 - 02:27:23 | Speaker 3:

Back hair gone. Get it off of your body. Front, you need a little bit. And you also, do you like it where it's trimmed nicely, like around the man's, you know, muscles and things?

02:27:24 - 02:27:24 | Speaker 4:

Of course.

02:27:25 - 02:27:30 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. You don't want a big old thing that just looks like a big blotch of hair on the guy, right?

02:27:30 - 02:27:32 | Speaker 4:

No. It's got to be nicely groomed.

02:27:33 - 02:27:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Sometimes some shirts, too, if you got too much hair, and maybe this is Wes's thing, and Wes will have to tell us. Sometimes if you wear those yoga shirts, like the Lululemon or the Under Armour shirts, it will poke through the shirt.

02:27:46 - 02:27:50 | Speaker 5:

Or it looks bumpy. It looks a little bumpy. It looks bumpy, which I understand that.

02:27:50 - 02:27:54 | Speaker 3:

And you don't like that idea. All of a sudden, you look and you got to, you know.

02:27:54 - 02:27:54 | Speaker 5:

Lumps.

02:27:54 - 02:27:55 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:27:55 - 02:28:08 | Speaker 6:

Listen, I'm all for equality. I feel like men need to be like dolphins, like us women, okay? Dolphins. All of it gone. The thing that drives me nuts, I wish men would shave their armpit hair. I really, really wish they would.

02:28:08 - 02:28:11 | Speaker 3:

Completely off. The problem, though, is you smell then.

02:28:12 - 02:28:13 | Speaker 6:

So all women smell?

02:28:13 - 02:28:14 | Speaker 3:

No. Guys.

02:28:14 - 02:28:15 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I shouldn't say all. Most women smell?

02:28:15 - 02:28:19 | Speaker 3:

Guys have to use more deodorant. So use more.

02:28:19 - 02:28:26 | Speaker 6:

So use more. Get your gross, sweaty armpit hair away from me. It's the armpit hair is the grossest of all the hairs.

02:28:26 - 02:28:29 | Speaker 3:

Whose guys, what guys is getting their armpit hairs on you?

02:28:29 - 02:28:39 | Speaker 6:

Every time it's summertime and a guy wears a tank top, Lord have mercy, and puts his arm around you, it is literally the grossest thing in the entire world.

02:28:39 - 02:28:43 | Speaker 3:

Well, there's the problem. Guys with tank tops should never put their arms around you unless.

02:28:43 - 02:28:55 | Speaker 6:

You don't think every guy walks around with that weird t-shirt from high school they can't seem to get rid of, that they cut all the sides off of, except for the very lowest part of the band. so it's practically open on the entire yeah

02:28:55 - 02:28:57 | Speaker 3:

what's up Aaron hi

02:28:57 - 02:29:07 | Speaker 1:

hey you have to take the good with the bad the guy's got the chest hair coming out of his neck and it's coming off the back too he's wearing the man's sweater

02:29:07 - 02:29:45 | Speaker 3:

well the problem though is and I've seen this happen all too often with guys God is not fair with hair somebody needs to have a conversation with God about this because God will give a guy back hair butt hair and ear hair but not hair on the top of their head and it's not fair yeah yeah speaking for a friend yeah thank you i appreciate that by the way i saw your water skiing photos yeah and michael you got to stop wearing the hat you look so good that's what my mom or my wife says too look at my if you go to on air mike are you okay with me sending people

02:29:45 - 02:29:51 | Speaker 2:

over there i don't care i'm not i'm not see that's the thing is i'm not uh weird about the bald head I just like hats.

02:29:51 - 02:30:06 | Speaker 3:

Go look at Mike, on-air Mike, and go check out Mike Waterskeen, the latest photos with him and his family. On the lake And the guy's got no hat on And he looks straight on pitbull

02:30:06 - 02:30:12 | Speaker 4:

Yeah Sometimes I still wear a hat though in the water Because I got PTSD from burning it one time

02:30:12 - 02:30:22 | Speaker 3:

You look so good man With the au naturel Like head completely shaved You know how to make a brown man blush Thank you

02:30:22 - 02:30:28 | Speaker 6:

Hi Leo

02:30:28 - 02:30:28 | Speaker 3:

What's happening

02:30:29 - 02:30:30 | Speaker 6:

Good morning, guys.

02:30:30 - 02:30:32 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. What's going on?

02:30:33 - 02:30:42 | Speaker 6:

So trim chest hair, yes. Totally yes. Super manly, so hot. The salt and pepper thing that Shannon was talking about, totally agree.

02:30:42 - 02:30:48 | Speaker 3:

By the way, we have not had one woman call up or even texting. Say no chest hair. Say no chest hair.

02:30:48 - 02:30:52 | Speaker 6:

Wesley, wild. Yeah, no back hair, chest hair, yes.

02:30:52 - 02:30:54 | Speaker 2:

Yes, big yes. Did you say mm-hmm?

02:30:55 - 02:30:55 | Speaker 6:

Mm-hmm.

02:30:56 - 02:31:02 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Yeah, so it just makes you more complete, you're saying, right, if you have a little bit of the chest hair going?

02:31:03 - 02:31:07 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, you just look a little more manly, like, I don't know, rugged. I like that rugged.

02:31:08 - 02:31:14 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, no, you know what, I think maybe, Shannon, you're going to have a new Wes after this whole thing. You're going to have to, you're going to be watching out.

02:31:14 - 02:31:15 | Speaker 2:

Like, he's going to be so hairy.

02:31:16 - 02:31:22 | Speaker 3:

What if he goes the opposite way, where he, out of spite, just decides that he's just not going to shave anything?

02:31:22 - 02:31:25 | Speaker 4:

What if he's that guy whose chest hair connects to his beard?

02:31:25 - 02:31:56 | Speaker 2:

My old orthodontist had that And he would just shave like a thick stripe through it So it would separate his chest hair From his beard It was so weird It was all I could ever stare at When I was getting my braces done Really? It was the weirdest thing honestly He had really thick like a carpet of chest hair And he would wear you know like a button up shirt And have the top button open or whatever Like I could tell he had the chest hair And then he had about three inches Of like a stripe and then he would have to be his beard.

02:31:56 - 02:32:03 | Speaker 3:

Did you ever come out of your appointment and have hair in your mouth because it would fall off of his chest while you guys were...

02:32:03 - 02:32:04 | Speaker 2:

I don't recall that.

02:32:05 - 02:32:08 | Speaker 3:

Because that would be bad. That happens. What's going on, Kevin? How you doing?

02:32:09 - 02:32:23 | Speaker 7:

Good. First time caller, long time listener. Yay, what's happening? Love the name. So I'm wondering about us guys out there who can only grow small random patches and not one big tough across the chest.

02:32:23 - 02:32:28 | Speaker 3:

Oh, jeez. Like, is the patch perfectly aligned, or is it, like, in a weird spot?

02:32:28 - 02:32:35 | Speaker 7:

Oh, no, I'm like a Dalmatian. Is it weird that I want to see? Like, I kind of want to see a picture of it.

02:32:35 - 02:32:38 | Speaker 3:

Do you also have issues growing a full beard?

02:32:39 - 02:32:41 | Speaker 7:

Oh, yeah, patches all over my face and neck.

02:32:41 - 02:32:57 | Speaker 3:

Oh, man, that sucks. That's a tough one. Well, we talked about this when we were talking about hair transplants and liposuction for guys. There's the thing that now guys are doing where they're putting transplants on their face for beards. Maybe you can put it on your chest.

02:32:58 - 02:33:00 | Speaker 7:

That's probably the next step, Ben.

02:33:00 - 02:33:05 | Speaker 3:

I would just completely shave at that point if it all of a sudden looks odd. What's up, Haley?

02:33:06 - 02:33:07 | Speaker 5:

Hi, how are you guys?

02:33:07 - 02:33:08 | Speaker 3:

We're good. What's going on?

02:33:09 - 02:33:38 | Speaker 5:

I just wanted to say that I totally disagree with Shannon and agree with Megan that I think men should have no chest hair. My man is, he's from the Philippines, my man. so he's asian he has very little body hair which i appreciate i totally agree with megan and the armpit hair thing he works construction so in the summertime he does shave his armpits once so it's not like i can only imagine it's like wet dog hair in between your arms oh it's so gross

02:33:38 - 02:33:53 | Speaker 1:

it's so gross and i dated probably the hairiest guy out of everybody on this show and i remember He had so much chest hair, and all of it would just end up in the sheets, and it was so gross. I hated it.

02:33:53 - 02:34:05 | Speaker 3:

I never, by the way, ever knew that Asian men have interesting body hair. I always thought that they were, you know, hair all over the place. Worth a Google.

02:34:05 - 02:34:15 | Speaker 5:

I think it depends on which country you're from, but like I said, he's from the Philippines, and his dad has very little hair, but on his head, he has a full head of hair on him.

02:34:15 - 02:34:48 | Speaker 8:

has had so yeah interesting paul what's happening it's mojo in the morning hey my um wife was really grossed out by armpit hair and she had this stuff i don't know what it's called it's probably other products but it was called nads but it put this gooey sticky stuff on she talked me into letting her um yank my armpit hair out and uh she did one armpit and it hurt so much i said that's it. You're done. You're not doing the other one. So I was armpit hairless. One armpit for the last one.

02:34:50 - 02:34:54 | Speaker 3:

Did anybody notice? Like, did you ever have to raise your hands or did you keep them down the whole time?

02:34:54 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 8:

No, that was our little secret. I never until now, it's out there now. Wow. Oh my

02:35:00 - 02:35:09 | Speaker 2:

gosh uh democritus is back on with us hello sir yo mojo what's going on how are you i'm doing

02:35:09 - 02:35:15 | Speaker 3:

all right this is probably about my fourth fifth time yeah i've got a call for you guys so i got

02:35:15 - 02:35:30 | Speaker 2:

you know i had the fourth fifth time in this week or ever ever that's awesome man four or five times ever you need to call more often you need to check in more often well i tried to message all

02:35:30 - 02:35:52 | Speaker 3:

of you guys on instagram numerous times but my comment to the to the topic i do i agree with you i do think that that black men do grow better chest hair than than white guys yes but this This is coming from a black man saying this.

02:35:53 - 02:35:53 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

02:35:53 - 02:35:57 | Speaker 3:

I agree, because I have white men chest hair myself.

02:35:57 - 02:36:06 | Speaker 2:

Oh, geez. Wait a second. So, wait. So, as a black man, you say that black men have better chest hairs, but you are unfortunately not born with that.

02:36:07 - 02:36:14 | Speaker 3:

No, sir. I'm a hairy, I'm a fuzzy, fuzzy, very hairy. I've had my full-blown mustache at the age of two.

02:36:15 - 02:36:21 | Speaker 2:

Really? But God played a trick on you. He gave you everything in your life black except for the chest hair.

02:36:23 - 02:36:26 | Speaker 3:

Correct. Well, let me say I look Arabic, but I am black.

02:36:27 - 02:36:27 | Speaker 2:

All right.

02:36:27 - 02:36:29 | Speaker 3:

He thinks he's black.

02:36:29 - 02:36:42 | Speaker 2:

Well, we need a 23andMe here. Yeah. What Chrissy Teeth can do? Yes, yes. I was there. Yeah, maybe there was something that mom wasn't telling you for sure about.

02:36:44 - 02:36:56 | Speaker 3:

I'm the harriest guy in the family, so it's just. okay all right for me for me to have a white man chest hair is it's kind of uh it's kind of weird

02:36:56 - 02:38:24 | Speaker 2:

how hairy were your neighbors that may be an interesting topic someday talk about how whatever whatever your particular you know race culture religion is and you're pissed because you didn't get what everybody else got you know what i mean like that would be an interesting one where we could get a little edgy toe the line a little bit and let people kind of call it out because I would sit there and think to myself, it'd be like, ah, you know, like if I was honestly like a black man that couldn't dance, like that game, which Kevin has been rumored to be the black man that can't dance. I've heard that from a few people. You'll see at the daddy to underdance. I'm making you go on for sure. Can you like all, all kinds of dances? Like, can you do all? I can't river dance. You can't river? Who's river dancing? You said all kinds of dances. All right, Mojo on the Morning Show. Real quick before we get into a quick trending news and then say goodbye, I want to introduce you guys to some nice people that are in the studio with us. The organization is called Our Neighborhood Academy, and Our Neighborhood Academy is a very cool thing, and I've been hearing a lot of people talking about the struggles of having either an adult child or a just over 18-year-old child that is autistic or has special needs and you don't know what to do there's no organizations that are around to help them out well our neighborhood academy is a place where you

02:38:24 - 02:39:16 | Speaker 1:

will help them out right yes hi thank you for having us here this morning my name is allison hi allison i'm the founder of our neighborhood academy we work with like you said young adults or adults who have graduated from a program or high school or you know adult transition program And we work with, you know, young adults like who have autism, Down syndrome, intellectual or developmental disabilities. And our Neighborhood Academy, we're really excited. Next week we have, or I should say June 19th, we have our summer camp starting. So we have lots of fun activities that we're going to do, go out into the community, but also do some learning while the summer months, you know, can sometimes cause, you know, times where you're unsure of schedules. or you don't get to communicate with other people as often as the school year.

02:39:16 - 02:39:23 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, all the programs kind of stop when summer comes, right? And everybody gets their summer vacation. But you've got your kids that you want to do something with, right?

02:39:23 - 02:39:46 | Speaker 1:

Yes. So we're really excited to be offering those opportunities this summer. And then in the fall, we also do job training. We do classes. We have social opportunities. We have a big social calendar. and so we'd love for young adults to come and join us and be able to kind of get that structure back but also get to know different people in the community and be able to build on their friendships

02:39:46 - 02:39:52 | Speaker 2:

when sometimes love that do you have camp spots available still we do yes we'd love for your

02:39:52 - 02:39:57 | Speaker 1:

young adult to come and join us and i say young adult but it's really anyone like 18 and up and

02:39:57 - 02:40:00 | Speaker 2:

so. Really? Okay. So, cause I have, uh,

02:40:00 - 02:40:41 | Speaker 1:

You know, a friend of mine who's got a son who's in his 20s, his late 20s, and he said it's the biggest struggle is that, ooh, where was that? That was a computer that was either up really loud that was restarted or something was going on. That was weird. But he said that the struggle is that there's nothing for them, you know, at that point. And it's cool that Our Neighborhood Academy is doing this. So if you want to, you know, check it out, ourneighborhoodacademy.com, you can, ourneighborhoodacademy.com, or you can give them a call at 248-556-5332, 248-556-5332. And Allison, you're also looking for people that want to help out organizations like yourself, right?

02:40:41 - 02:41:20 | Speaker 2:

Yes. So if you actually come, we're actually in downtown Berkeley. I pass you guys all the time. Yeah, we're right on 12 Mile. We love our location. It's such a great community down there. So we'd love for young adults and anybody to come in and be able to see our space. We actually, if you look at us from 12 Mile, we look like a children's boutique. Yes, you do. Yep. And so then if you come in our doors, we do a whole bunch of things in our building. So like I said, classes, social opportunities, the store. We want to give opportunities for those who might not have it or are just looking for something else to do and want to continue learning post high school or a transition program. That's great.

02:41:21 - 02:41:29 | Speaker 1:

That's a great thing. We're already getting people contacting us right now saying, oh, my God, tell me again. our our neighborhood academy.com you can get all the information there also on social media too

02:41:29 - 02:41:34 | Speaker 2:

02:41:34 - 02:42:55 | Speaker 1:

job great thing that you're doing stories all right a couple of quick uh stories here and then we will take off today a couple big stories that were in the uh the news did you see yesterday this is a major national story right now um two dead at least seven shot at a high school graduation in Virginia, in Richmond, Virginia. The parents of some of the graduates say that they thought that it was fireworks that were going off, put on by the school, only to know that two people were killed. They believe that it was a drive-by shooting. It was calculated specifically because they knew possibly the graduate or possibly the dad of the graduate might have been involved in one of the local gangs in the area. uh nearly half of voters say that if the choices for the next election the 2024 election are between current president biden and former president trump that they would go to a third party to vote that's by the way the largest that has ever been seen there's never i don't believe there's ever been a third party you know uh candidate that has ever just has won an election I think it's always been like Republican, Democrat, but nearly half of voters in a poll recently said that they would pick a third party, which there's been rumors of possible people that would think about going to a third party.

02:42:55 - 02:42:58 | Speaker 2:

I saw Chris Christie entered the race yesterday.

02:42:58 - 02:43:00 | Speaker 1:

He entered as a Republican.

02:43:00 - 02:43:01 | Speaker 2:

Is he former governor or governor still?

02:43:02 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 1:

Former governor. I think he was working on like ABC or doing something like that. But some of the possibilities, some people think that Bernie Sanders should run as a third party. Other people have talked about former Representative Liz Cheney, and then some people have said Senator Joe Manchin would be a possible third-party candidate. Dr. Cornel West is out there. You've been talking the last couple of days. I like him. Voters want U.S. troops to fight Mexican fentanyl smuggling cartels with the troops being deployed to the border or being deployed into Mexico to stop this. And this has been something that has been talked about before, but in a recent poll, 61% of voters say to stop fentanyl from coming over and attacking our kids, that they think that it's like a war on drugs, like literally a war on drugs where we do it using the military to do it, which is interesting because it's never, I believe, been done before also. A guy breaks into a home in Rhode Island and is facing four felony charges after police arrested him and found out that he was breaking into the home to steal sex toys. Oh, God. The suspect was arrested and reportedly told police that he peered into the room. He was attempting to look for weed, but then said the next best thing was he saw newly unopened sex toys that the person had bought. and that was what he was going to end up stealing and taking from them. Do we know what kind of toys they want? Well, if that's the thing, that's valuable. They could be very valuable. The post office is reporting which areas have the largest dog attacks by postal workers, which areas like where the dogs actually will bite the postal people when they're delivering mail. Los Angeles tops as the biggest city for dog bites. they say

02:45:00 - 02:45:38 | Speaker 5:

that they are number one in the country, followed by Houston, Texas, and New York with the dog bites. Toledo, Grand Rapids, and Detroit all have high numbers of dog bites but weren't in the top percentage of dog bites by postal workers. I got a postal working friend who lives in L.A. I have to check on him. And see if they get bit by the dog. I would be fearful of that happening, wouldn't you? Having like the dogs Come after you What is the science behind dogs going after postal workers Like what is the reason Well you're on their property

02:45:38 - 02:45:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah it's just somebody walking through your yard Or up to your door

02:45:42 - 02:46:08 | Speaker 5:

And I think many of the postal workers Actually try to carry something To keep you know the dog away Like a spray or something But still I mean there's got to be If you're a postal worker you'll have to call it out But areas in our listening area where you got to be faced with this all the time. 45% of adults say that they skip using soap when washing their hands.

02:46:09 - 02:46:09 | Unknown:

What?

02:46:10 - 02:46:18 | Speaker 5:

45% skip using soap and just use the water to rinse their hands off and feel like that is perfectly fine to do.

02:46:19 - 02:46:19 | Speaker 3:

Nah.

02:46:19 - 02:46:43 | Speaker 5:

If you go to the bathroom, if you go use the bathroom, this is a test to see if people are using soap or not using soap. go to our bathrooms when there's no soap in the container and see if a person will walk out of there and say, hey, there's no soap in there. Yeah. Because I remember for weeks in the guy's bathroom, there was no soap in the thing. Yeah. And nobody would say anything at all. And I'm going, wait a second. I think we all got busted on this one here, right?

02:46:43 - 02:46:58 | Speaker 2:

My sister stopped dating a guy because every time she went to his apartment, she realized that he didn't have soap in the soap dispenser in his bathroom for a long time. And finally, she was like, he doesn't wash his hands. And even after he poops, because there was no soap ever in the soap dispenser.

02:46:58 - 02:47:05 | Speaker 5:

He's like, babe, I made breakfast. Would you be grossed out by a guy that didn't wash their hands, period?

02:47:06 - 02:47:08 | Speaker 2:

Ever? Yeah. It would gross me out.

02:47:09 - 02:47:19 | Speaker 5:

Sometimes if I go to the bathroom, I will wash my hands and I'll do them kind of quick. We all do that. There's been a couple of times where I'm like, all right, I'll quickly wash my hands, but I'll leave the water running for a little bit.

02:47:19 - 02:47:21 | Speaker 2:

We only have a minute and a half to run to the bathroom.

02:47:22 - 02:47:22 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:47:22 - 02:47:24 | Speaker 2:

Sometimes I'm not doing the full 20 seconds.

02:47:24 - 02:47:28 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, wash your hands, you gross. Okay. I know I'm not the only one.

02:47:28 - 02:47:57 | Speaker 5:

Did you say you just let the water run? Sometimes I will let it run a little longer than I'm actually washing my hands. Oh, okay. Because I feel like my hands are clean enough, but I don't want anybody judging me that I was washing them too fast. And last story here, why is it that women shouldn't wear red to a wedding? You've heard that you shouldn't wear white to a wedding, that that actually is showing the bride up. Why you shouldn't wear red to a wedding? Turns out that wearing red to a wedding means that you've slept with the groom.

02:47:57 - 02:48:04 | Speaker 2:

I wore red to Mike's wedding, and I have absolutely, definitely never, ever slept with Mike's wedding. Are you sure? I've slept with Mike's wedding. So you say.

02:48:04 - 02:48:06 | Speaker 5:

Is there anything? Yes.

02:48:07 - 02:48:09 | Speaker 2:

I did not know that.

02:48:09 - 02:48:36 | Speaker 5:

It's kind of an old wise tale, but according to wedding planners George Mitchell and Bethany Smith, They say that wearing red to a wedding Is actually in the western world Not something that you should do Because it might be You calling it out Calling yourself out for that I mean we didn't Shannon But you didn't have to say it like that You didn't have to say it like you vomited in your mouth She's going to photoshop all the old photos of herself

02:48:36 - 02:48:38 | Speaker 4:

So nobody knows

02:48:38 - 02:49:14 | Speaker 5:
