were even crazier i saw so many daughters twerking up against the dads oh really my dad goes please don't do that to me we were on the second floor like the vip area where where you know all of our vips that donated to breaking and entering christmas were hanging for a minute my dad wanted to sit down and the tables were up there and he was looking down and he goes jen please don't

i don't want that well how about when the daughters started like doing like they like they're doing the split oh my god that's the one it was amazing and the dads were the encouraging guys doing that too. The guy with the highlight shoes. The light up shoes. Tony Aguilar. That's right. Mike's long distance relative. That's my mentor. My Mexican mentor. When we pulled up, we all went to dinner beforehand and thank you by the way to those guys. They were so nice. Thank you to our boss Colleen. She bought dinner for us. And then we pull up to the daddy daughter dance at district 142 there's a huge line around it looked it looked like a line to get into taylor swift it was nuts and um meeting these these dads was awesome i mean it was just like amazing to see the love that these dads have for their daughters you know and and i i will say this i kind of I wish that I – I need to take it all back, and I should have been a daughter because daughters get so much attention from their dads. I mean, you guys are fawned upon, you know, like you can do no wrong. And then when we got inside to see how Crystal and Lydia decorated that place, holy crap, it looks so good. And thank you to everybody over at District 142. Julie was so great, man. They put on a party for us, but it was good. What were some of the crazier or kind of honestly heartwarming stories that you have? Because I've got a few to share.

God, I met so... Did you meet the girl who brought her... And this is the way she phrased it to me, her biological dad of four years. Yes. Yes. That's what I was going to bring up. He stole my story. I'm sorry. Oh, my gosh.

She was amazing.

She thought that her, another man was her dad her entire life until, what was the story? Did she need to get medical testing done and she realized that her quote unquote dad?

I think that, I thought that she said that she just started doubting it. Like it was started, it started to become a doubt about her, who her bylaw, the father was.

Somehow she found her, her, her real dad and said, did you hook up with this woman, you know, back in the day? And the guy was like, yeah, they did a paternity test. This was four years ago and found out that he is, in fact, her dad, not the guy that she grew up thinking was her dad. So she brought him to the party on Friday night.

It was so cute. It was honestly to see them in just a four year relationship where it picked up from there and they it was like they've been in each other's lives forever. Yeah, that story was wild. The other stories that I thought were wild The dad who was one of the guys That won He was actually voted the Home Depot Dad up on stage, he won the gift card We did the whole thing, matched the dad To the prize, and we had A $200 or something Like that, or $250 gift card To Home Depot, to Lowe's, and Lover's Lane They had to pick like which one I don't know.

And it was so perfect.

This dad was driving home, and I don't know if you guys heard this big news story about the tanker explosion that took place out on the roads on 75 on Friday. It caused, for a lot of people to have issues, he was right behind that and witnessed that. And then was driving home thinking, I'm not going to this thing. There's no way. He's like all shook up. Got home and told his daughter that he wasn't going to go, and she got real emotional. So he said, you know what, I'm going to come. He ended up going. He said, it would have been the biggest mistake I would have made in my life. It was the best moment of his life to be there with his daughter. And then there was a couple of other dads. Oh, the dad who said that his daughter didn't have a heartbeat when she was first born. And they thought that she was still born. She ended up surviving. And he said that he vowed to himself, he prayed to God that if she survived, he would be with her every step of the way. So every week they do something together special. Wow. That's really cool. So that was cool.

Man, I met so many amazing people. I think this was my first in-person event outside of Taylor. That's right. So just being there, period. Cab, this was, yeah. I don't know how high we can go, but this was the absolute highlight of my entire radio career. But there were so many guys. There was one guy who showed me the last time that he wore that suit was when he went to his daughter's commencement ceremony in 2022. He had the ticket inside of the suit and said, I only wear this on special occasions.

And that was the last occasion.

Another guy or a girl, because I wanted to know, how did these young ladies invite their dads? Like, how did you tell your dad you were coming? This girl made, like, an entire, like, visual movie that had pictures from her daddy-daughter dance in 2000 when she went. And it was a whole, will you go to prom with me or daddy-daughter, I'll drive. This is what I want you to wear. It was just incredible. It was pretty cool.

Kev, I'm surprised you didn't share the story about we had a whole, like, group conversation where we got into Kev's dad. And we started talking about how Kev wants to reconnect with his dad Because there was a daddy and a daughter there Who hadn't spoke for years and years and years And they were on really, really bad terms And just recently reconnected again And it was very similar to Kevin and actually myself Our stories with our dads And then we had this big circle conversation about it We group hugged

Really? With the dad too? With the dad Oh my gosh I shared the fact that my dad was recently incarcerated She mentioned that her dad also was And to Mike's point, this was like one of those Huge moments where they haven't been together In so long It's been a strained relationship But here they are reconnecting at daddy-daughter

It's funny because I saw you guys hugging and crying And I thought, these guys gotta get cut off What's up, Donnie?

Good morning Hi, Donnie Donnie's my favorite hi donnie you guys all looked really great on friday by the way especially having that silk white shirt oh he was looking fly talk to me donnie yeah my dad and i had an absolute blast on friday i think we danced for like three straight hours and i felt so bad because at the end of the night like he said his hip was hurting

do you know it's so funny donnie my dad has really bad knees and so between his bad knees and we were among the last people off the dance floor and my high heels rubbed the bottoms of my feet raw. You should have seen us walking to our arms. I believe. We looked like we were both 90.

Arm in arm. It was fun. Yeah.

Donnie, you were the ones I saw. You were the people I saw on the dance floor the entire time.

I know. It was so fun. Listen, I could dance. I could be a certified hype girl, book me, pencil me in. I was there. It was so fun.

We loved having you there, and we loved doing this, and we got more great parties coming our way in just a little bit, and we love that we've now learned that I think the dads are as big of fans of the Mojo in the Morning Show as the daughters are.

I mean, it was really cool to have these girls, their daughters come up and say, I just want you to know the first time I ever listened to you guys was in the car going to school going to high school My dad was dropping me off and my dad said This is the show that I listened to and I was like wow and now he's like hanging out partying with us

At a moment like that, you know Obviously, it's like an unwritten guy rule is like when you're in the restroom. That's like your safe space Yeah, you don't literally this guy walked in is like Yeah, so he's like man. I just talked to Mike Mike You might know exactly what I'm talking about. He says you're his camping buddy. He's gonna reach out

Absolutely, I have a few of those from that night I do, I'm going camping in I think Port Huron and a couple other places

It was wild, there were people that were telling me Mike, that they were going to lend you their camping Like, one guy Said, I got an RV

that Mike and his family are going to borrow. People, honestly, if we asked them to give us their social security number, you know, whatever, they would have given it to us. I was worried I was fearful I was going to have like a tree come through my window last night because that storm was just so vicious. They had tornadoes that were ripping across the Midwest. I saw a video just a second ago of one that was just outside Indiana or outside Indianapolis in Indiana. It's on television right now behind you.

That literally looks like the movie Twister. It does. It's crazy.

The whole night, I was just thinking about Point Place because they're still recovering from their tornado. I can't believe another storm is coming. Stay over that way. Debris raining down on parts of the city. Now at least 75 homes in the county are moderately to severely damaged.

Altogether, we're probably looking at roughly three miles damaged.

Indiana, not the only state to get hit. Severe storms knocking out power to nearly half a million customers in the south and claiming another victim in Atlanta, Georgia.

They had like crazy heat too over the weekend. I saw again throughout the south. And so I was thinking myself last night, I was like, man, the worst case scenario, obviously, is tornado. The second worst case scenario is all of a sudden your power goes out and you got to deal with that, which I know that in the trade area, they're saying it's 60,000. I thought there'd be way more. 73,000, yeah. 73,000? I thought, honestly, I thought it would be the hundreds of thousands because that storm seemed like it was more fierce than most storms that we've had recently.

Passed so many DTE workers and trucks on my way in this morning.

talking to obviously my girlfriends about this and i am this in by no means is to you know less and how I feel about my sweet fiance. He's the most incredible man in the whole entire world. It is still really hard to walk through this part of being divorced. Like when everybody moves on and there are these big moments of, for example, a wedding, you know, my therapist was so funny the other day. She was like, okay, do you have a plan for that day? Because no matter what, no matter what stage you're at, as happy as you are, that's going to be a tough day. No, I'm not going to be at the wedding. Obviously the kids are going to be at the wedding. But she's like, it's going to be a tough day, and you might be feeling like a lot of different ways, and you need to have a plan. So she's like, what's your plan? And the thing that she recommended to me was I kind of had a laugh because I loved the show Shrinking that Mojo recommended with Harrison Ford and Jason Siegel. And she literally said the same thing that Harrison Ford recommended to his patients on the show, which was look at photos, put on some sad songs, set a timer, cry your effing eyes out, Do all of your grieving and be done Like be done with it And just so especially since I'm leaving for a vacation the next morning With the kids and she's like you don't want to have You know yuck feelings As you're embarking on this a great week With your kids so get it out now

His grieving mom also said that she had originally planned to take the trip to the bottom of the sea with her husband, but that excursion was canceled due to the pandemic. So when the opportunity to board the ocean gate submersible arose again she let her son go instead the sentence

Speaking of Taylor, an Ohio couple having their wedding during Taylor's show in Cincy this Saturday. And it's not what you think. It's not like that couple that got married in Glendale, Arizona during her show like on the Isle. This couple got engaged in 2021. They chose a venue on the Ohio River that also has a view of Pacor Stadium where the Bengals play. Well, the bride-to-be said things got real complicated when Taylor announced back in the fall that she would be performing at Pacor Stadium the same day as their wedding. It's like right there. So the cool part is it's going to be busy in that area, but the bride and the groom and all of their guests will actually be able to see some of the show because they have a perfect view of the Jumbotron from where their wedding is.

Actually at one point I think I heard Tim say something about how shannon should just call megan okay so here's the uh here's the rules of this whole thing and there's some interesting rules to it because you could get yourself into uh a little bit of trouble if you do use your phone and have it in your hand the only way that you can have it in your hand to use it is if you're calling 9-1-1 because there's some kind of an emergency otherwise you have to use you know the hands-free devices like carplay or android auto um or have ear you know buds in your ear but um the first time that you get uh charged with this you get a hundred dollar first time offender penalty um and or 16 hours of community service followed by the second time 250 dollar fine and then the third time if you get it three times in the course of i think it's three times within three years you actually could lose your license for 90 days and the reason that they say that they're doing this is back in 2022 they say that there was a record amount of accidents that took place in Michigan and the people were on their phones at the time did you guys know that if you get into an accident I don't know if you guys have ever had this happen do you know that the insurance companies or even you know the people that you like the people that you hit or whatever, if you hit somebody, that they could actually subpoena to see if you were on the phone at the moment that you had that action.

They sure can.

And they'll be able to test it out.

But how can they prove that you are on your phone?

It's like this does make sense. Do you want your 17-year-old talking on their phone while they're driving, or do you want them to have a phone steering wheel?

Why not just create something that, like, when you're driving fast, like they do with Pokemon Go. We were just talking a moment ago about you cutting off somebody and traffic, and you were almost killed.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner. So I grew up in an area that has tons of railroad tracks. I'm not sure if this is a common thing in Michigan, but in Toledo, we have 8 million and a half railroad tracks here. and i grew up in an area that had a bunch of um arms that came down for their train tracks right because they're flashing lights in their arms well my brother and i learned over the weekend that not every train tracks has arms and i think that we have just been conditioned in the area that we grew up in that that's like they all have arms they all have arms i've never been as i can remember to a train track that didn't have arms that came down those like what the red and white the caution arms yeah so um we were driving uh in a different area than we grew up in and we were going over train tracks and i i looked up and i just like grabbed my car and i screamed because my brother was going across the train tracks and we almost got hit by a train because it didn't have arms. And like, absolutely, we were in the wrong, but I think we've just been conditioned to one specific area because I Googled it afterwards and apparently the majority of railroad crossings don't have arms and that's just not something that we ever paid attention to. It was the scariest moment of my life. I saw the train coming, and I was like, oh, my God.

Usually the ones that don't.

We are going to die.

It's usually more rural areas where you'll see that where the train, you know, maybe doesn't come as often. Right. But isn't it weird that they don't have arms on every single one of these train tracks? Because of, I mean, I guess we're supposed to look for the blinking light, right, on the side of the thing. And there's a bell, right?

No, ours didn't have a bell. it was just lights and like i'm gonna be really honest should we have noticed it obviously yes but i think when you just grow up in an area that that's not the case like i was not looking out for

it at all yeah yeah i wonder if any listeners have ever been you know almost hit you ever see those uh news stories are out there where all of a sudden you'll hear the story about a train that hits a car and the problem is that what happens even if they do have arms the people that are stuck in traffic and will continue to go and they'll like go yeah i want to move up i'm going to inch all the way up and they don't want to put a space in between them to you know stop at that line that white line that's there yeah and they'll can they'll stop right on the middle of a railroad track only to get hit by a train and you hear these stories all the time because those trains can't stop it's like semi-trucks yeah pulling in front of a semi-truck but bigger you know and trying to get in front so you're saying that you were in an automobile and almost got yourself into a situation where you could have i'm just kidding i'm just messing with that i don't know

So, I actually was on the train coming home from work on Sunday, and our train was delayed an hour and a half. I've never taken the train anywhere, and i had to do it for work and um so we had to stop weren't sure why come to find out uh another train further down the track should actually hit someone and the best part was the attendant was showing us that um so had she died it would have been a three four hour wait but because she only

got hit and actually lived it was only about an hour and a half oh my god so wait where was this What town were you in?

I thought maybe it was like the Amtrak that goes through our area, taking you between the big cities. So that's wild. So if the person dies, they have to shut down like they do the highways here in Michigan. They shut down the highways for a while to do an investigation, and there goes the trains for a while. The same thing that happened to Megan happened to me. I was driving down, I'm in Sylvania, Megan and I was driving down Sylvania, and I also, I went right over the train track. And luckily, they go slow, but still, it scared the crap out of me because my son was in the back seat, and I noticed there was no poles or anything. And then I started taking note at every railroad crossing in the area. there's no polls except for a few and i looked it up online you can actually go to a website um and it said a high website you can request polls i guess it's like enough people oh like

petition i feel like that should just be standard though for safety and the crazy part is like in slovenia they go slow because they have some sort of ordinance for noise or whatever so they like legitimately have to go slow i was out in like the springfield toledo area that train was flying it was terrifying to be like we were seconds away from being smashed to pieces

oh they go fast out there yeah that's scary out there i can't believe they don't have

poles up there i know we need to get everybody on the pole what's going on tyler so i actually

live up in michigan and railroad crossings that actually don't even have lights they just have

I talked and Shannon has talked about direct optique for a long time I love them get the greatest glasses and contacts and anything sunglasses they have a location obviously in Canton next to Ikea but they just opened up a new location on Hagerty they donated some prizes to give away thank you to Lucido Fine Jewelry for their amazing donations to our raffle that helped us raise ready for this $5,000 is that unbelievable for breaking and entering Christmas wish Our good friends over at Dr. Reynolds' office, Jamie Reynolds, they gave us an unbelievable, this wedding great box, or not wedding, whitening box that was huge and great.

And then we had all sorts of liquor prizes, liquor baskets from Lydia's uncle, Max Liquor in Taylor.

They were the best. First off, I wanted to, there were bourbon baskets.

And Max Liquor over at, and then of course the people over at BP, the BP. on Hall and Gratchit, they donated this stuff to the Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish thing. That's what got them. That in the in-studio here on the Mojo in the Morning Show got the biggest amount of money. So that was huge. Aesthetica Med Spa donated spa packages. Thank you to those guys. Those were big ones too. Everybody wanted to be able to get the great stuff that makes your face look beautiful. What else? Oh, Papa Joe's donated some gift baskets. We love Papa Joe's. They were incredible. Those things, I wanted to take those home at the end of the night because I was starving. I was going to crack into it and just start eating whatever was inside of it. And then I think I got them all. I think I did, right? Yeah. Brittany, who did the decorating. Yeah.

It was so cool. Top notch. She did an amazing job. Oh, my gosh. If you have a big event coming up, we tagged her on stuff.

Top pick collective. She was so good. And then Eva and her great husband from Three Little Lashes. What is it called? The Three Little Lash Eyes? I think it is. Yeah. Three Little Lash Eyes. Balloons. They did the balloons. Yes.

They did a balloon wall among other balloon arches and stuff, which was really super cool.

It was such a fun night. The dads were awesome. The daughters were even better. Beautiful girls. I mean, the dads, there was some craziness that was going on there. At certain points of the night, there were dads that were trying to pawn their daughters off on you. Like, they were like, on you?

Well, Mike, specifically.

I've never seen a dad hype up their, or dads, hype up their daughters more than I did that night. Like, there was Big Sexy, who was doing it all night. There was the guy who was, I forget his name, but he had the floral company, and he had like a floral flower arrangement in his beard. He kept telling me. Oh, he had a flower company? I think so. I forget the name of the company, but he kept telling me, hey, tell my daughter she's sexy. Tell her she looks sexy with the flowers in her hair. And I'm like, I don't know. Yeah. You look good. Yeah. The one thing I overheard was somebody to Mike going, if you weren't married, I'd want you to be with my daughter. Mojo, let me set this stage for the people that went there. It was a beautiful, phenomenal venue. There was great food, great music, great drinks. All the dads with cancer, all the girls were beautiful with their dads. Mojo gets up on stage and goes, hey, how many of you dads are horny out here? What?

Well, we're with our father. I understand, but there could have been some single daughters or something like that. I don't know. Who knows? Who knows? Could you imagine, by the way, if a dad ended up meeting one of the other guy's daughters?

It's interesting because there was a very wide age range of dads and a very wide age range of daughters because of that.

I've never in my life doing this thing Have ever had more people come up to me Thanking for an event Like we've done events And we get people that are thankful I've never had so many thanking Like thank you for doing this Because if it wasn't for this My daughter and I wouldn't have done anything

And I said, oh, man, yeah, that was. And he goes, can I get more tip?

You are kidding me. And you're a great tipper, by the way.

Well, I went back to go look at it. My bill was a total of $61. This is for our post food. $13 of it was the tip. So $13 of the $61 was tip. So that was like- More than 20%. More than 20% of the thing. And I've never experienced that before. I've never had anybody ever do that, where they all of a sudden ask if they can have a larger tip. What would you do in that case? Would you give them a larger tip? Yeah, I'd probably give them a $20. Would you? I didn't have any money on me at the time. I'm like, oh, well, great. Thanks a lot. I appreciate it. I close the door. I go, Mike, I think the guy wanted more tip. What are you going to do, though?

I mean, what are you going to do? I feel like that's rude to do, but he did drive a long distance. I just feel like you don't do that ever.

I actually contemplated inviting him in with us because I ordered so much pizza.

Because if she's not a sports fan and not interested in sports, not excited about sports, why take her to go see a game?

And she is so excited when I mentioned to her that I got tickets from my job and that, you know, I was thinking about bringing her there. She was like, oh, my gosh, this sounds amazing. Yes, I'd love to go.

I totally don't sound like that. Let's just throw that out there. Two, yeah, of course I was going to be excited because I like you. And I was just like, yeah, he found something that he would like me to go to that he loved. So, but I didn't think, I don't know. I just thought you would have like an iota of you like, oh, well, maybe not. Let me take my bestie and let me take her out to dinner or something we can actually have. How are we going to have a conversation at a game anyway? Everyone's screaming around us.

Oh, there's plenty of time. I mean, I love going to a game and sitting and eating and drinking and talking. I talk more than I watch the game, but. But here's the thing, though. If you are not interested in something Like if I was going to go out And say that The person was going to buy tickets to a musical Or a play or something Say I was going to date Megan That would not be something that I would go to Like I wouldn't want to go to the thing You know Like I would rather us go somewhere just to go have drinks And talk And not go to an event that I'm not going to be happy with Like another one too Like if somebody's going to take me on a date Like I'm not big in roller coasters So don't take me to Cedar Point That's not going to be my date. Oh, I didn't know where that's who she was. jamie samuelson did for those in detroit in toledo and grand rapids jamie samuelson uh had the number one sports morning show in town um before he passed away of colon cancer at like 40 something years old like very young guy and you probably saw him uh if you were a big lions fan he was always doing the pregame show for the lions he was always on there he's unbelievably smart man well she did interview with me and when she did the interview I thought for sure I'm like going okay what is she going to interview me about like what are they going to ask me about her thing that she wanted to ask me about which I have never been asked this by any of the like even radio journalist people you know she wanted to ask a question of how is it that I have been able to stay married as long is that I've stayed married with the stuff that we do on our show.

I mean, you just heard a couple minutes ago, somebody just said, hey, Mojo just asked if there are any horny dads out there. You know, that can't be fun to be married to, right? You know what I mean? Or the conversations that we talk about where we talk about our relationships and how we do, you know, certain, you know, arguing and stuff in our relationships and we come on the air and talk about them, that can't be fun. So she asked me about that. So she was asking me, you know, questions about that. And I got kind of emotional during the whole thing. But here's the, oh, this is a bad. Very personal. So one day he finally, you know, came out and he spoke about his battle with cancer and told, you know, his friends and, you know, the listeners. And then, you know, he had passed pretty, pretty, you know, quickly after that.

And it was it was so devastating to to see, you know, those those silent stories that we carry are oftentimes the heaviest.

It was very cool to get an opportunity just to sit down and talk. And she's doing this thing now. So she's doing On their streaming service Where she'll sit down and the last person She just did it with I think was Bill Ford Just before that was Tom Izzo I mean he's like some pretty cool people They actually included me in this thing I always wonder when you go into those Do you ever switch into radio mode And you start trying to interview her I kind of started doing it a little bit And I think she kind of gave me a look at one point Where she's like this is my interview not your interview Because Mike honestly that happens where you all of a sudden you're you're like uh hey let me talk to more about you and then i started talking about jamie a little bit well because you're an inquisitive guy anyways like you ask a lot of questions anyway so i i would assume that it it just comes out naturally well the i mean the part that they get gets weird too and when you're being interviewed by one of the tv people is they tell you never to look at the camera so they don't ever want you to look at the camera they want you to look at them and i'm one of those people if i see a camera i'm like wanting to like stare right into the thing but they did a great job they set it all up in the studio here and they had like a producer guy that just like set up like the camera in a position that it was pretty cool it was actually a really neat thing I'm excited to see how they edit this thing because it happened a while back like over a month or so ago so I'm wondering even what I said

I'm worried, should I forewarn my wife about this and make sure that she's okay with everything I said? But it gets interesting because have you ever had this happen to you in your life? Has your job ever affected your relationship? Because this job affects every one of us, right? Whether it be our relationships with whoever we're married or dating or our families, our brothers, sisters, dads, moms, all those people. And when we talk about our significant others getting upset with us, there are many times where they get upset with us to a point where they get so mad you think that you are in like the deepest of uh of trouble and that happened to you mike what

what did you do yeah i thought i was in big big big big trouble and i had to it was right before i was heading over to detroit too so i what didn't want to have the conversation about it over the phone i wanted to wait but i thought it was going to be like just stay in in detroit because what i had said what i had said is something stupid and it was 100 my fault i'll take blame for it right now uh first and foremost but what happened is when we were talking last week about separate bank accounts my wife and i i think i don't remember who brought it up but my wife and i said that or have always said that we like having our separate bank accounts because it just works better that way for us and we kind of come together and then if she if we need something or she needs something she'll just jump into my bank account and i think the question was asked well why does she jump in or why does she go to your bank account why don't we go to hers And my simple answer was, well, I make more money at the time. Oh, boy. Right, right, right, right. What I did not acknowledge in that moment, and what we're – because she's very sensitive about this right now, and I get it because she wants to go back to work, but also we've had conversations about her staying home more. Yeah. And she wants to do both. But that being said, I need to, without even thinking about it, understand that that is a job, too. Like, that is a – you know, it's not – so basically the way I made it sound was, I just make more money, and she just needs to get money from me.

And it's also saving you guys a lot of money for her to stay home and not have to pay for as much child care. Yeah. Isn't it like a stay-at-home mom brings in value of over $150,000 a year? There is some crazy number like that. Yeah. So it's always like when guys are like, you're living off my salary. It's like, actually, I do more work that you can't afford.

Yeah. Yeah. And so it was unintentional, but I definitely screwed up. I definitely made a mistake in not acknowledging that part of it. Jesus Christ, I met some dumb bastards in my time, but you outdo them all. And you could tell, I mean, I was going to be like, let's have this conversation while I'm driving over there. But I didn't feel like it was one of those conversations. Because she's very, like, this is all new territory for us.

Did Allie do what my wife has done before? The, hey, I was listening to your show this morning. Yes. And then you're like, yeah? And you're thinking that some, you know, it was great. I think you won the throwback throwdown. You should have gotten the money. And then you find out, uh-oh.

I think part of me, too, was like, I want to stay. I don't want to go home and have this conversation. You know what I mean? I don't want to. But I did, and it ended up being fine.

Mike spent the night at my house on Friday. because we had the party, and after the party was over with, I didn't want him driving home, and obviously it wouldn't have been responsible for him to be exhausted driving home. Now I know why he wanted to stay at my house.

I was like, what are you doing tomorrow? Are you going golfing? Are you going golfing? Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool.

He said to me, he goes, so what's going on for tomorrow? He goes, I'm going to try to get out of here early because I got this meat gig that I'm doing. He was giving out meat at Dick's Sporting Goods. Yep. And he's like, but if you want, it actually would have been, that would have been so funny if all of a sudden, like I wake up on Sunday morning and it's like, Hey, Mike's still here.

Like, I'm not saying I'm scared of my wife, but I'm also not saying I'm not.

Has anybody gotten in such a fight that they actually did have to go move in with somebody else or getting, you know, or they moved out. be if like we've gotten into some some we've gotten into some humdingers and we've gotten in some big ones in our relationship but it's never gotten to a point where i felt like i was gonna get kicked out of the house i always felt like chelsea would just leave you know what i

All right, well, rumor has it that Taylor Swift turned down an invite to appear on Meghan Markle's Archetypes podcast despite receiving a personal letter from the Duchess herself. She just didn't want to do it. Declined through her rep, so not even via text or phone call or email or whatever. But it comes as Harry and Meghan's dealings with Netflix are coming under fire. They're being described as lack of ideas and subpar execution. Everybody just said they've been really, really underwhelmed with Harry and Meghan's, you know, what they're bringing forth in terms of energy and effort to the deal with Netflix. Following Spotify's axing of the podcast and its upwards of $20 million partnership with a couple, Netflix has also said it's unlikely to renew its deal after it expires in 2025. However, it has been confirmed that Harry and Meghan are currently creating a great expectations-inspired show for Netflix. It's going to be called Bad Manor, so that is still in the works.

I think that all of these services that hired these guys felt like with the amount of friends that they have in the entertainment industry, that they would have had a huge amount of celebrities that would want to be guests on their show. And honestly, I'm surprised that they weren't. Maybe there was so much controversy to them, or maybe people felt like it wasn't that good. But if I am Taylor Swift and I'm friends with Meghan Markle, why would I not go on the podcast? What do you think the reasoning is, Meghan? Where's your theory on this?

Um, I think a lot of times with podcasts or shows or anything like that, it's just hard to get big acts. I mean, I think Hot Ones is a really great example of this. If you look at their first, like, three seasons, they couldn't really get any, like, anybody sounds bad. That sounds really mean. Just, like, low-level celebrities and look at who they have now. I think it's really hard to get any sort of interview-based platform off the ground. Even Call Her Daddy did not have the biggest names until recently. It's tough. But then, like, look at the Smart List podcast.

Yes. They are, like, spot on almost every week with, like, A-listers.

But was that that way at the beginning? Because even Armchair Expert, I wouldn't say was. And Dax Shepard obviously has a lot of celebrity friends. Yeah, no, I see where you're going.

Maybe it's the level of, it is the level of how good it is in the beginning. Because Caller Daddy has been good since day one and before they even got guests. One of the, yeah, it could be.

It could be that people want to wait until they see if it's going to actually be good.

One of the interesting things, I just saw Trevor Noah signed on to have a podcast on Spotify. Oh, really? And we know how many friends and celebrity guys he knows, so we'll see if that travels

Here's my thing. I would probably, if I was like as big as Taylor Swift, I would wait to see if they have audience. And then once you see if they have audience, then you decide whether or not you're going to go. But the thing is, you will bring audience to them if you're Taylor Swift, right? True. And that's what you want.

She was talking about how she's going to be re-recording Dear John. And then Dear John was also one of the surprise songs that night, which the song is allegedly about John Mayer. It's about John Mayer, come on. But she said, leave the poor guy alone, please.

I'm not putting this album out so that you can go and should feel the need to defend me. on the internet, against someone you think I might have written a song about. I do not care. We have all grown up. We're good. So, I'm saying that because, only because I am proud of it as a song, I am going to play Dear John.

and it's amazing to think now that Rascal Flatts are like no more aren't they and they're kind of like yeah I think not really doing anything anymore and Eric Church is like one of the biggest of the big he's gonna be hanging out and he may be a guest on our show Wednesday when we broadcast from the Rocket Mortgage Classic.

Have you ever been planning a trip for a really long time only to realize that you forgot to book an important part of it? So I was trying to get everything organized for this trip. I'm actually taking the kids to Florida for a couple of days. And so I get really bad anxiety before I go on a trip, especially like just making sure everything is in order and organized. I have packing anxiety. I like to pack well before. So I checked my flights yesterday morning. All good. Although they did change them four hours earlier than scheduled. But okay. It was fine. Wait. You booked a flight in? I booked it for 10.30 in the morning. And now it's leaving at 6.02 a.m. Holy cow. Yes. What's worse? Love you, American Airlines. Four hours early or four hours later? Early. No, or late, I would say. At least we're getting there a little bit earlier. But we just have to wake up really early. But the transportation from the airport to the hotel, I had to make sure that that was all in order. Fine. Laid out all of the kids' clothes to pack. Fine. Checked the hotel reservation. Nope. Didn't have that. Oh, no. Nope, nope. Couldn't find it anywhere in my email. And I have, I don't know if you guys organize your Gmail by folders, so I have a folder for travel. And that's exactly where it would have been. Well, it wasn't in there. So then I searched all mail thinking, well, maybe I put it in the wrong folder. Nope, had nothing. So I had to call the hotel yesterday. Thank God the reservations guy was so sweet. And he was like, no, you actually do have a reservation. I don't know why it didn't get, it actually didn't get sent to me.

I know. I'm freaking out right now. Like, oh, God, I really hope the prices didn't go up on those flights.

Well, here's another thing, too. Have you heard about what's going on as far as the airlines are concerned? So the busiest time ever in the history of airlines, and they're trying to do this switch over to 5G, and I don't even know what this means. I know that our phones did it, and all it did was cause for me to have worse phone service. 5G was, like, supposedly going to be, like, the greatest thing ever. Well, the airlines aren't even close to having this thing switched over. So, hold on, I'll play this for you.

New concerns for air travelers heading into the height of the summer travel season. The FAA last night forced to issue a temporary ground stop for all planes in and out of Washington, D.C. area airports because of equipment problems at an air traffic control facility. The ground stop lifted after a few hours, but it comes just days after a government audit found critical U.S. air traffic controller facilities are facing serious staffing shortages and the FAA, quote, lacks a plan to address them. Meanwhile, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg warns there may be more headaches to come due to a looming deadline for 5G wireless

technology on planes. The deadline is July 1st for a lot of the changeovers that need to be done between the FAA and the cellular companies and the airlines. There is mostly a feeling that they've got it under control. But by the same token, there are some people that are still

concerned. By the way, people are wondering, is this for your ability to be able to make a phone call or to be able to get service? No, this is so that the planes can land. Okay. The issue is

planes have a device called a radio altimeter telling them how

far they are from the ground as they come in for a landing. Turns out the frequencies used by 5G are similar. Experts worry there could be confusion, especially when a plane is trying to land in bad

weather. What happens on July 1 is that all the aircraft that needed filters put in their antenna lines for the radio altimeters should be in compliance. Otherwise, they're going to have some restriction in terms of how low they can fly on approaches. Delta says about 190 of its

planes won't be equipped in time united says its united express planes could be affected jet blue reportedly won't have upgrades in place until october and expects some impact on low visibility days wow all right does it make me feel uh that kind of scares me a little

bit you know what this never happens to my camper i don't worry about it driving across the country I don't know. I'm going to say this, that this 5G thing was a stupid idea. And I don't know why they needed to do it because I just don't know the technical aspects of it. But it feels like it's screwed up a ton of things. Like, don't you feel like ever since the 5G thing came out that your phone service is not as great as it used to be?

My phone service is crap. It's not even not as great. It's crap. It's the worst. Do any of your phones go into SOS mode all of the time? What does that mean? What does that mean? I have no idea. Because once a day, it seems like my phone goes into SOS mode, and I have to restart my phone completely for anything to work on it. Wait, so what happens? Like, you get a message on the screen? No, instead of where it says, like, my Wi-Fi won't work, and wherever it says my bars for whatever.

SOS, which is the area that you go to if you ever push your buttons too much on the side. it will go. I just

did that and talked to a very sweet 911 operator

over the weekend. Yeah, it will call 911, but for some reason on yours, and it has Mike, you say it's yours too? Yeah. It just randomly does that. Yes. Do you guys have

iPhones? Yes. Yeah, I'm Googling right now. Basically, you're saying that you can't establish a cellular network connection. So your phone automatically goes to SOS mode so that you can at least call emergency if you need to. Wow, I didn't.

But it happens almost every day, and it goes away if I restart my phone. Yeah, that's the only way

to work too. So Megan, when I was at Bonnaroo, they actually, the city of Manchester had to send out a mass text on iPhones because so many people were hitting their emergency buttons or whatever during the festival. So the city was getting hundreds and hundreds of SOS, like notifications and calls because of that iPhone feature. And we got, and I screenshotted the alert that we all got because we all thought that was like a real emergency happening, but they were just sending out an alert saying to stop hitting those buttons. That's crazy.

That is nuts. Yeah, that is crazy that that's going on. Man, I don't know. To me, somebody needs that smart to tell me what the reasoning is, 5G, like why. I mean, obviously, I get the idea that they didn't roll it out that great, but can't we just go back to 4G? You know what I mean?

Or can we skip 5G and just go to 6G?
