00:03:01 - 00:03:02 | Speaker 6:

All right, are you ready?

00:03:03 - 00:03:05 | Speaker 7:

You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

00:03:05 - 00:03:06 | Speaker 6:

You're a doo-doo hat.

00:03:07 - 00:03:11 | Unknown:

Here we go, go, go. Here we go, go, go. It's showtime.

00:03:11 - 00:03:54 | Speaker 6:

Can I tell you guys, so first, you guys knew that I tore my meniscus, so I double tore my meniscus. And so yesterday during the show, I was in so much pain. During commercial breaks, you might have seen, if you look at the video, So I'd go to the back, I'd sit on our California closets couch, and I would have to stretch my leg out. Yeah, I didn't bang it. And I'd have to stretch my leg out, and it was just, oh, it was hurting me so bad. I was limping. I was crazy. I put a text in to Dr. Ashish Beatty and his wonderful nurse, Kristen. They had me come to the hospital yesterday. I went to the University of Michigan, and they gave me a shot of cortisone. I want to dance with somebody.

00:03:54 - 00:03:55 | Unknown:

Give him a couple more.

00:03:56 - 00:04:04 | Speaker 6:

I want to feel the heat with somebody. No, it feels good. So thank God. It's still tender. I can tell it's tender. I'm not going to go crazy.

00:04:05 - 00:04:10 | Speaker 5:

When did you start to feel like the immediate relief? Was it as soon as you got the shot? Did it take a while to kick in?

00:04:10 - 00:04:26 | Speaker 6:

Well, let me tell you how bad it was for me. So driving to and from the hospital, because it didn't kick in immediately. So on the way home, it was bad. Has anybody ever done this? So it's my right knee. I drove with my left leg. Have you guys ever driven with your head?

00:04:26 - 00:04:26 | Speaker 1:

I feel like that's not allowed.

00:04:26 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 5:

That's awkward.

00:04:28 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 6:

You've never done that before? No. I don't think you're supposed to. So I was driving, so I'm like literally my foot over, and I'm doing it, and I'm going over. And I was thinking to myself, you know those people that can write with both hands? Ambidictors. Is that what it's called? Yeah. I'm ambidictors. I am too. Has anybody ever had that talent of being able to do something that others can't do? Like this is my talent. I can drive with my left.

00:04:53 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 5:

It's very awkward, though. You probably weren't good to start off because the muscle memory, the mobility, like you just.

00:05:00 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 4:

aren't used to it well thank you the weirdest part was i was on a long stretch okay so i was on 96 going to m14 in through ann arbor so i had a super cruise on for that time that was good but it took me off the road because there's construction so i had to go off of um i don't even know what the hell street i got off armor but i went i was yeah i don't know something you tell me i don't know i follow my ways and um so i'm like going through neighborhoods in plymouth and I'm like stopping and I'm like oh hey guys how you doing I got my left foot going here but it was weird because I was sitting on an angle doing it it was awkward how big was the needle it was big

00:05:40 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 1:

wait that one was this big like an epidural hold on a second that was exaggerated right what's that that was exaggerated right you said this big

00:05:51 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 4:

it was big here I'll point it out to you in a second after I didn't think of getting you

00:05:55 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 1:

Shannon saying it's this big

00:05:58 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 4:

It's never going to go away. I know. Listen to how young she sounds.

00:06:02 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 1:

It's this big.

00:06:03 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 4:

You're just a child. Baby. It was probably that long. It went in. I mean, it was big. Yeah. Did they have to numb you up? They put the needle in to numb me first and then did the thing. So you back? I'm back. I think. Well, I'm not fully back.

00:06:21 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 3:

In the golf course this weekend?

00:06:23 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to behave myself, maybe. Behave myself. I'm going to try not. I, yes, last night, you know, I was like doing things around the house and I realized as I was going in, I have to like go and make sure that my kids rooms aren't like a mess only because of, uh, you know, they haven't been there a while. Like I flushed, you know, flush toilets upstairs and stuff. Cause I never go upstairs and Luke doesn't do things. Sometimes I'll like run into the bathroom and there's a turd that looks like, let me

00:06:52 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 1:

tell you something that's happening in my house too. And I finally called a family meeting the other day. I was like, whoever is pooping, whomever, we don't know who it is, whomever is pooping and leaving the poop to disintegrate in the toilet, it is effing disgusting. Stop it. How do you walk out of the bathroom and not look?

00:07:09 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 3:

It's bad as a guy, too, because if I'm going in the bathroom and I have to pee, you have to flush the poop because if you pee, you'll get all that scent.

00:07:18 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 1:

Ew. I agree. There's one culprit in our house, and I will not say who it is, but this person is a repeat offender.

00:07:26 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 4:

It's definitely a male because it's a guy thing. Really?

00:07:29 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 1:

I'm not saying anything.

00:07:30 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 4:

In ours, it's all guys because I know it ain't Chelsea going upstairs to the boys' bathroom and doodying and not flushing. What's up, Jason? How you doing?

00:07:41 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 2:

Hey, what's up? I'm doing good today. What's going on? So, yeah, I'm a professional. I'm driving with my knee on my leg. I do it all the time. I can take corners doing it. Really? I mean, I don't recommend it, but I've been doing it for years.

00:07:55 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 3:

Why are you doing that?

00:07:58 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 2:

Just to free up my hands, get some drinks. Free up my hands.

00:08:03 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 3:

How are you taking corners? I can drive with my knee, but turning a corner, how do you do that?

00:08:09 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 2:

So when you start turning the corner, you just kind of throw the wheel, and then you catch it with your leg again, and then you do it repeatedly, and you just go around the corner.

00:08:17 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 3:

Throw the wheel.

00:08:18 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 4:

That is an awkward thing. Hey, try this today. Try driving with your left foot and see how you do with your left foot. It was pretty interesting. I know people who drive with both feet.

00:08:30 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 3:

They drive with both of their feet. Like right on the gas, left on the brake?

00:08:34 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, which I don't know if that would be something that I could do. I'm good. Yeah. I got a text. Like, boom, boom, boom. It's almost kind of like pedals. You're like pedaling or something, a little vehicle. Look who's on with us. we haven't talked to you in a while uh andy the telemarketer is on with us hi andy how you doing good morning hey andy hey mojo how are you fantastic andy kansas city andy on with us

00:09:00 - 00:09:30 | Speaker 5:

right now uh andy absolutely guys guys i am telling you okay long time in a long time how about that kevin give me that welcome back Okay, first and foremost, guys, first and foremost, okay? You know, we have first time in a long time. You all remember that, right? Of course. I used that in one of my corporate meetings last week, okay? You did? How did it go?

00:09:30 - 00:09:32 | Speaker 4:

Did you bring an air horn, too?

00:09:33 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 5:

And there were two or three people who were in the call. They are Mojo in the Morning listeners. Oh, I love it. And they loved it.

00:09:41 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 4:

Can you say mojo in the morning one more time for me?

00:09:46 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the morning.

00:09:47 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 4:

No, now you said it without the twirl of the tongue. Before you did it, you had a mojo in the morning. It was like, I loved it.

00:09:53 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 5:

Oh, you wanted that? Yeah. Mojo in the morning.

00:09:56 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

Okay, that still didn't sound the same. I'll go back and listen to it.

00:10:00 - 00:10:02 | Speaker 7:

Andy, have you ever driven with your left foot?

00:10:05 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 8:

No, not at all. Not at all. But that's dangerous, Mojo. You are lucky. You got away with that, number one. And number two, right on the accelerator, left on the brake, that is also dangerous. Google it. There are about 20 or 22% of the people who drive like that.

00:10:27 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 7:

Wow. There's actually a stat. Seriously. I believe. Google it. All right. Hey, Andy, Andy, I love you, buddy. It's good to talk to you. Tell all those people that are at work that listen, we said hi, okay?

00:10:40 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 8:

Google it. Hey, you guys let me into the call often, okay?

00:10:44 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 7:

Take care. Oh, you bet. Absolutely. Have a great weekend.

00:10:46 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 8:

Google it. Thank you. I'll get fired up on Friday. Have a good Friday.

00:10:52 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:10:55 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 7:

All right. Mojo in the morning. How smart are you?

00:10:59 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 6:

It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events, and you tell us what year it happened.

00:11:05 - 00:11:19 | Speaker 7:

All right, we're going to give you an opportunity to win our last pair of Luke Bryan tickets. Tomorrow night, he'll be at Pinov, and the weather looks spectacular. Sarah Palin, do you remember that name? She was the Alaska governor. She ran for vice president.

00:11:20 - 00:11:25 | Speaker 1:

What insight into Russian actions, particularly in the last couple of weeks, does the proximity of the state give you?

00:11:25 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 2:

They're our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska.

00:11:32 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 7:

I could see Russia from my house. The Dark Knight hit theaters. What's but a smile on that face. That's one.

00:11:40 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 3:

Love it. I just watched this movie.

00:11:46 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 4:

Angry. Why so serious?

00:11:49 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 3:

Terrifying.

00:11:50 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 4:

And Flo Rida.

00:11:53 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 6:

You're smart. Prove it. You remember the year the stuff happened. 844-MOJO-LIVE.

00:12:00 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 7:

Hi, Cheryl from Roseville.

00:12:02 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 5:

Hi.

00:12:03 - 00:12:05 | Speaker 7:

How are you? You want to go see a concert tomorrow night?

00:12:05 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 5:

I do. What year was it? 2008. There it was. Yes, it was.

00:12:12 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 7:

Congratulations. Luke Bryan at Pine Knob. Have the best time.

00:12:17 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 5:

Thank you so much.

00:12:19 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 7:

Have a great week. You sound like Sarah Palin. Let me hear you say, I can see Russia from my house.

00:12:25 - 00:12:29 | Speaker 5:

I can see Russia from my house. Oh, my God, it is her.

00:12:29 - 00:12:58 | Speaker 7:

That's amazing. All right, have a great time. We're going to give you Morgan Wallen tickets now, a chance for you to win a pair of tickets to go see Morgan Wallen. Actually, we're just a little over a week away from him being in Ann Arbor for two sold-out shows at the huge football stadium there at Michigan Stadium. Text to win. 00:12:59 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:13:01 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 7:

Right now, Shannon with What's Trending in the Dirty on the 30. Hi, Shannon.

00:13:04 - 00:14:14 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. Happy Friday. After pulling off one of the most talked about celebrity weddings in history, I'm hearing that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey have escaped to a honeymoon destination that is very quiet, very exclusive. The newlyweds are said to be spending time at the ultra-private Yellowstone Club. We've talked about this in The Dirty before. They've gone there before, but it's a luxury resort. They reportedly flew in separately, which is interesting to me, using different planes and different airports to avoid being tracked, but still, the secret's out. The Yellowstone Club is interesting. It's invitation only. members have to own property there they pay about a half a million bucks to join and then around eighty thousand dollars a year in dues and everybody who owns a home there's a celebrity bill gates tom brady mark zuckerberg lots of like business people yeah so taylor and travis i know for a fact because i know several people who do have homes there that taylor and travis did indeed buy a home there um so i i feel like that's going to be their spot to kind of get away and get out

00:14:14 - 00:14:31 | Speaker 4:

of the spotlight i feel like if there was one moment where you didn't care if people knew where you are or if you were together or where you were going it would be leaving your wedding and going on your honeymoon the fact that like they still care if people are aware of where they're going is like weird to me. Paparazzi.

00:14:32 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 3:

I doubt it is their actual honeymoon too. Like I feel like they're here, they're in Yellowstone Club for a couple of days to kind of, you know.

00:14:41 - 00:14:42 | Speaker 7:

They bounce all over.

00:14:43 - 00:14:45 | Speaker 3:

And then they're going to go somewhere spectacular.

00:14:45 - 00:14:47 | Speaker 7:

Did you see her getting off of her private plane and what they do?

00:14:48 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 3:

No.

00:14:48 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 7:

Oh, the pictures are, you got to Google this. The pictures are wild. They have like 20 umbrellas being held by people. So they don't get pictures from afar, from like the terminal or whatever.

00:15:00 - 00:15:13 | Speaker 5:

and she's getting off, and I'm like, all I wanted to do is play the, like, was it Penguin? Isn't he the one in the Batman series that used to carry the umbrellas all the time? It's like, it was crazy. Danny DeVito.

00:15:13 - 00:15:20 | Speaker 7:

If you are a fan of Summer House, several cast members were on The View very randomly yesterday. Kyle Cook was one of them.

00:15:21 - 00:15:33 | Speaker 4:

I do feel like there's pieces to the puzzle that are probably still missing. I don't know if we're ever going to get done, but I think we have to at some point move on. Like, the timeline detectives are still out there, but I think I'm ready to move on.

00:15:33 - 00:15:34 | Speaker 6:

I'm one of those timeline detectives.

00:15:34 - 00:15:46 | Speaker 7:

His ex, Amanda Batula, now dating one of the other cast members, West Wilson. There was definitely some overlap there. And Lindsay Hubbard talking about her current relationship with her friend, Amanda.

00:15:47 - 00:16:00 | Speaker 6:

I haven't spoken to her since. She, you know, we're all busy. Yeah. And I think a little space is needed after three months of, like, being so consumed by this entire scandal.

00:16:01 - 00:16:39 | Speaker 7:

And lastly, your first name might be making a first impression before you ever say a word. A new survey found that one in five Americans absolutely judge people based on their first name alone. The names with the biggest stereotypes. No shocker here. Karen topped the list, followed by Chad, Donald, John, and Damien. Damien. Coming in at number five. The survey also found that one in five people wished that they could change their first name with Gen Z leading the way on that one. Do you guys like your first names?

00:16:40 - 00:17:19 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'm good. My real first name is Theodore. No, actually, I'm seeing a lot of little kids that are Theos. Theo is a very, very popular name. My real name is Tom. And, you know, it's kind of just whatever. It's a generic name. It was supposed to be Brian. Did you guys know that? I didn't know that. Yeah. I was going to be named. Well, I was essentially my mom always wanted a Brian and my uncle died and his name was Tom. So I got named after Tom. Yeah. Fun fact. All right. Never met the guy. He died. So don't ask me anything about him. Kevin's a great name. Shannon's a great name. Anna is a great name.

00:17:19 - 00:17:21 | Speaker 1:

You don't like Anna? I think it's a old.

00:17:21 - 00:17:21 | Speaker 5:

Lydia, Bianca, Zach.

00:17:22 - 00:17:25 | Speaker 1:

Oh, really? I think Anna's old. Yeah. Maybe it's because it was after my great-grandma.

00:17:25 - 00:17:26 | Speaker 5:

Would you ever change your name?

00:17:26 - 00:17:29 | Speaker 1:

I love it. Out of respect to my parents, no.

00:17:29 - 00:17:31 | Speaker 5:

But you've thought about it. What's your middle name?

00:17:31 - 00:17:32 | Unknown:

Marie.

00:17:32 - 00:17:39 | Speaker 5:

Anna Maris. That's older. But you know what, though? Anna is a very popular name, too, for kids these days.

00:17:39 - 00:17:44 | Speaker 7:

All the old, I say old-fashioned. Old, there we go. Classic names are coming back.

00:17:44 - 00:17:44 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:17:45 - 00:17:49 | Speaker 7:

All right, miss anything from today or this week, actually, catch up over the weekend on the free iHeartRadio app.

00:19:47 - 00:19:55 | Speaker 5:

It's a blue Bronco, a blue Ford Bronco that is coming out. I don't know where it came from.

00:19:55 - 00:19:58 | Speaker 1:

Was it like a chase to begin with? I'm just wondering how we got this on camera.

00:19:58 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 5:

How did she throw him out?

00:20:00 - 00:20:03 | Speaker 2:

If she was driving. Right. That's my question, too.

00:20:03 - 00:20:05 | Speaker 4:

There's no way. Here, hold on.

00:20:05 - 00:20:12 | Speaker 2:

He jumped out. He jumped out to get away from her. Yeah, he had to. I guarantee you that's actually what happened. You think so?

00:20:12 - 00:20:15 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Like, the door had to already be open. Yeah.

00:20:15 - 00:20:19 | Speaker 4:

Are there any people in the comments saying that they were there when this happened? Let me look.

00:20:19 - 00:20:25 | Speaker 3:

It looks like nobody is there. Everyone's saying, free her. It's too light outside to be going to the drive-in.

00:20:26 - 00:20:49 | Speaker 4:

My favorite comments. That Bronco needs a free car wash. Hit somebody up. Another one here goes again, like Anna. Who filmed this? That is the most unbelievable camera angle. That is actually a really interesting question to ask. Maybe the Ford Wyoming drive-in has cameras set up around the place. Yeah. And they must have a good in with.

00:20:49 - 00:20:51 | Speaker 2:

I mean, this was like, no.

00:20:51 - 00:21:02 | Speaker 4:

Let's see what movies are playing there. Minions is their Toy Story. Saw that yesterday. Jackass, Obsession, and, uh...

00:21:02 - 00:21:06 | Speaker 2:

People are calling BS on a story saying this happened at a drive-in during the day.

00:21:06 - 00:21:08 | Speaker 3:

That's why I said it's too light out.

00:21:08 - 00:21:11 | Speaker 2:

And there just happened to be a drone at that exact moment? No. Okay.

00:21:11 - 00:21:17 | Speaker 4:

No, Shannon, that video is a night cam. Oh, it is? The video of him coming out is night cam.

00:21:17 - 00:21:19 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you know what? I see what they did here.

00:21:19 - 00:21:19 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:21:19 - 00:21:22 | Speaker 2:

They just got, like, B-roll is what we call it.

00:21:22 - 00:21:23 | Speaker 4:

Oh, wow. Yeah.

00:21:23 - 00:21:25 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it is. Night cam. You're right.

00:21:26 - 00:21:33 | Speaker 4:

Because you're on the night cam on Local 4 with Tim Pamplin. They used to have a thing there called the night cam.

00:21:33 - 00:21:34 | Speaker 2:

Oh, he's the one with the British accent.

00:21:35 - 00:21:57 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. So this is interesting. So here's my question I ask. If you found out that you were being cheated on while you are in the car, would you kick the person out of the car? Would you say, you've got to get out of the car? Has anybody ever done this? or has anybody ever gotten into a fight with their spouse and gotten out of the car yeah that

00:21:57 - 00:22:12 | Speaker 1:

happened to me you did yeah so i actually i caught my boyfriend cheating on me a while ago and then i confronted him on it and then he was like you know what you could just get out of my car the man dropped me off on the side of hall road oh my god at least there's a million places you could go

00:22:12 - 00:22:17 | Speaker 4:

get a little snack bianca yeah i didn't know you dated bad guys like that i know it was really bad

00:22:17 - 00:22:38 | Speaker 1:

So I'm sitting, I found like a near hotel off the Saddle Road. Oh, geez. And I was sitting in the lobby at like 11 at night, just crying in the lobby. Oh, Bianca. How old were you at this time? I think it was like 19 or 20. Yeah, it was bad. Wow. But I was too scared to call my parents to come pick me up because I was like so embarrassed. So my best friend picked me up. Shout out to her. Aw.

00:22:39 - 00:22:50 | Speaker 4:

Wow, that guy's a bad guy. We need to find out who that guy is and make sure that he gets an anger management. He made a girl get off on a highway that's got eight lanes. Were you being aggressive, Bianca?

00:22:50 - 00:23:03 | Speaker 1:

So, no, no. So I found out, so he came to Michigan State, and I found out he was cheating on me at Michigan State. So I kicked him out of my apartment and made him go find somewhere to stay. So then when we were arguing, he was like, you want to know what it's like to get kicked out of an apartment? Get out of my car.

00:23:03 - 00:23:05 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. He was getting revenge on you.

00:23:05 - 00:23:07 | Speaker 3:

He was getting his get back. That's crazy.

00:23:07 - 00:24:48 | Speaker 4:

I one time got into a fight with Chelsea. and I was driving and, uh, and she said, she said, let me out of the car or something like that. I forget what it was. This is early in our relationship. We were both young and, and not really smart. And she got out of the car at a circle K and I go, well, I'm leaving. And I took off and left. This is in Tucson, Arizona. Let me tell you what goes on in Tucson, Arizona at circle case in the middle of the or in the evening drug deals lots of them they're all over the place ketamine so i left her and just said i figured i'm gonna drive like a block up the street and then i'm like all right i gotta go back i went back she hid i remember this story it's so good she hid and so i didn't know where the hell she was so i am freaking out and all i keep thinking to myself was her dad already was skeptical of her dating a dj and all i'm thinking to myself is she got traffic down to mexico yeah and i'm gonna be in you know huge trouble actually i was it's funny i say it like that i'm not worried about her i'm worried about my trouble i'm telling you they're gonna be like you know what they do on dateline it's always the boyfriend yeah you the number one says the last guy so finally i uh you know ended up figuring out where the hell she was And this was before Find My and stuff. She was hiding behind a bunch of bushes that were there. Did she pop out? No, she saw that I was panicked, and I was, like, on the phone trying to call people, and I think she didn't want to panic other people. But it's the last time. By the way, I listen to her every time after that. We ain't playing anymore. What's going on, Gloria? How you doing?

00:24:50 - 00:24:53 | Speaker 3:

Hey, good morning, everybody. Good morning. Happy Friday. Yeah.

00:24:54 - 00:24:55 | Speaker 4:

What's happening?

00:24:55 - 00:25:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, check it out. So one time my ex had this girl kept calling.

00:25:00 - 00:25:25 | Speaker 4:

His phone was like hot emoji with a tongue sticking out. And I'm like, why don't you answer the phone? Because he kept calling. He kept crying. And he was like, oh, this is my cousin. I'm like, you know what? We're on Ghostback in 14 Mile. I'm like, get out of my car. I was in an intersection. I'm like, get out of my car. And he was like, no, no. So eventually he got out of Ghostback, and I did not care. It was like super busy. I just didn't care. I said, get out of my truck. And I just pulled off.

00:25:25 - 00:25:33 | Speaker 2:

Gross back is another street that you're not playing when you leave them on gross back. Like there's, they're going at high speeds on gross back, Gloria.

00:25:34 - 00:25:39 | Speaker 4:

Yep. Well, he balontates the sidewalk safely. So I had him covered.

00:25:39 - 00:25:41 | Speaker 2:

Did you figure out who the tongue emoji girl was?

00:25:42 - 00:25:47 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I found that one. And I found many more on his iPad and he doesn't in my truck. Oh, wow.

00:25:48 - 00:25:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Get out my car. What's going on, Gail? How you doing?

00:25:52 - 00:26:19 | Speaker 3:

Good morning, everybody. Good morning. Me and my ex-husband got into a fight. This was, like, more than 10 years ago. But we were in the Target parking lot, and we got into a huge fight. I was trying to get out of the passenger side. He was going, like, maybe 10 miles an hour. I was wearing flip-flops and shorts at a tank top. Instead of his karma, I ended up beeping and kissing the cement, messed up my foot, messed up my leg, gave myself a black eye. Damn.

00:26:20 - 00:26:21 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

00:26:21 - 00:26:24 | Speaker 3:

Don't go out of moving vehicles, people. Just don't do that.

00:26:24 - 00:26:46 | Speaker 2:

Moving vehicles are only meant to go out of in movies. You know what I mean? People roll out of the air. They got padding on. There's no reason why you're doing that, a perfectly good vehicle. If we can get a hold of whoever knows the details of this drive-in movie kicked out of the Bronco thing, we would love that. We would love to hear more.

00:26:48 - 00:26:50 | Speaker 4:

Are you joking?

00:26:50 - 00:26:53 | Speaker 2:

I've been trying to hold a job, but that's bad for my system.

00:26:54 - 00:26:55 | Speaker 4:

Bad for us.

00:26:55 - 00:26:58 | Speaker 2:

You may get kicked out of...

00:26:58 - 00:27:09 | Speaker 1:

We're going to throw him right out. It's Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55. 5 at 6.55. Yo, 5 at 6.55. Go now.

00:27:09 - 00:27:19 | Speaker 2:

By the way, that would be a reason to kick your girl out of the car or a guy out of the car if they lift up their ass cheek like you just did. You know it on Stank, though. You know, you say that.

00:27:19 - 00:27:22 | Speaker 4:

I don't like silencers on my ass. Randomly it will.

00:27:22 - 00:27:29 | Speaker 2:

Unreal. No, last night. All right, Jake is on with us right now. He's going for two in a row. Jake, let's get to know you a little bit. Tell us about you.

00:27:32 - 00:27:36 | Speaker 1:

Oh, for me, it's Jack. Oh, Jack, I'm sorry. I don't know why I say Jake.

00:27:37 - 00:27:41 | Speaker 2:

Jack, I apologize. Jack, tell us about you. You're good. Very common.

00:27:41 - 00:27:49 | Speaker 1:

All right, so, yeah, I'm 28. I'm in Flat Rock. Big baseball fan going today at Lake Michigan. Really excited for it.

00:27:49 - 00:27:51 | Speaker 2:

And is your girl with you today? What's your girl's name again?

00:27:52 - 00:27:53 | Speaker 1:

She's not. Kelsey.

00:27:53 - 00:27:54 | Speaker 2:

Kelsey. We got to meet her.

00:27:54 - 00:27:58 | Speaker 1:

She's awesome. She sounds awesome. Big Gossip Girl fan. Yeah, she loves you guys.

00:27:58 - 00:28:14 | Speaker 2:

All right. Crystal is your challenger. She is from Redford. She works at U of M in the transplant department. Whoa. Crystal, what's happening? Hey, hey. How are you? That's got to be an interesting job. What kind of transplants?

00:28:14 - 00:28:16 | Speaker 4:

Well, I just entered results, so it's pretty good.

00:28:16 - 00:28:22 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. So you don't actually do the transplants, but you make sure that we have all the items there to transplant.

00:28:22 - 00:28:24 | Speaker 4:

No, I'm not that cool. Okay.

00:28:24 - 00:28:55 | Speaker 2:

No, that's a cool job, though. You're cool. That's better than pushing buttons and having your morning show co-host fart in your face. Only she was so lucky. All right, Jack, I'm locking you up in a soundproof area. We will see how you do today. Go for two. Crystal, five questions. Whoever gets the most right wins. Ty always goes to the champion. What's the name of the Tigers mascot? Pause. Let's bring the champ back. soundproof area. This is going to be a tough one for Jack.

00:30:03 - 00:30:06 | Speaker 4:

He asked your questions on a Friday, and she got a perfect score, 5 out of 5.

00:30:07 - 00:30:21 | Speaker 2:

Buddy, you got to be perfect, Jack. Alright, let's do it. Question number one. Kylie Jenner debuted a line of summer pink hued drinks for which coffee breakfast chain?

00:30:23 - 00:30:27 | Speaker 1:

00:30:56 - 00:30:59 | Speaker 3:

Andrew? No!

00:31:01 - 00:31:06 | Speaker 2:

The Royals take him down. William, Prince William is the answer.

00:31:06 - 00:31:09 | Speaker 4:

No, yeah. I think we're thinking of Charles' brother.

00:31:09 - 00:31:29 | Speaker 2:

Hold on, one last call here. Jennifer, what's happening? How you doing?

00:32:00 - 00:32:01 | Speaker 4:

Good, how you doing?

00:32:01 - 00:32:13 | Speaker 2:

Fantastic. We were talking about the drive-in in Detroit where somebody got caught cheating and the girl basically threw the guy right out of the car. What happened to you and your husband?

00:32:14 - 00:32:36 | Speaker 4:

Well, he wasn't cheating, just to be transparent. But he was backseat driving. I was driving him home after an event and he kept backseat driving so finally I said you know what you don't like it get out of the car and he did him walk oh yeah he did how far what did he walk uh maybe a block and then I went

00:32:36 - 00:32:43 | Speaker 2:

and got him you felt sorry what did he look like when he you picked him up was he look sad or did

00:32:43 - 00:32:51 | Speaker 4:

he look tired and sweaty he looked he he can be a smart aleck so he looked happy and he didn't He didn't even want to get back in the car, but I made him.

00:32:51 - 00:32:54 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. Man, oh, man.

00:32:54 - 00:32:57 | Speaker 4:

Are you joking today? Get out of here.

00:32:57 - 00:32:58 | Speaker 2:

Wait, what did you do?

00:32:58 - 00:32:59 | Speaker 4:

He ripped another one.

00:33:00 - 00:33:16 | Speaker 3:

You got to come out, bro. Just, Ellie, go right here. Greek yogurt, man. You can't even smell them. Please just stop. You literally can't smell them. It's disgusting. But you can't smell them, though. They're loud, though. You don't like sound? They're so loud. No, your booty can't like sound.

00:33:16 - 00:33:23 | Speaker 4:

every once in a while though they do i know this ain't one of them times but it's like spinning

00:33:23 - 00:33:29 | Speaker 3:

the wheel you don't know listen i know before y'all know and i always try to warn you these

00:33:29 - 00:33:52 | Speaker 4:

It's like we're in a shoebox or I'm like one second I gotta go rip some booty real quick give me a second. We are such a

00:33:52 - 00:33:59 | Speaker 2:

classy morning show. Weird yeah they're not talking about this I'm Blaine and Lauren right now I can guarantee you. I wouldn't be

00:33:59 - 00:34:00 | Speaker 3:

able to tell because I don't listen

00:34:00 - 00:34:20 | Speaker 2:

Alright it is Mojo in the morning show Home of War, The Roses The Five Lies Tell Your Mom Phone Scam Shannon's Dirty on the 30th, Throwback Throwdown, Am I the A-Hole, Second Date Update it's good to have you guys here with us today Kev, you left a girl at your house. Yeah, I did. Did you come into work then or what?

00:34:21 - 00:34:21 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:34:21 - 00:34:23 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so you came into work. When was this?

00:34:23 - 00:34:26 | Speaker 3:

A couple, three days? Day before yesterday, right?

00:34:26 - 00:34:26 | Speaker 2:

Okay, yeah.

00:34:27 - 00:34:29 | Speaker 3:

Because I showed her on a ring cam. I think it was the day before yesterday.

00:34:29 - 00:34:34 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so you leave her there enough that you trust her that she's not going to steal your stuff.

00:34:34 - 00:34:35 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, we got insurance.

00:34:36 - 00:34:40 | Speaker 2:

But you're checking her out on the ring cam. And what did you see her doing on the ring cam?

00:34:40 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so my ring camera is set up towards my kitchen area. which is like near the front door. And I saw her walking in the kitchen, get the alert on my phones. There's motion by the front door. And I saw her at the sink and it looked like she was just rinsing off like her plate or something like that. I'm like, okay, cool. You know, hang.

00:35:00 - 00:35:37 | Speaker 4:

up the little ring cam continue on my day and when i get home she's gone but it's almost like she cleaned everything that was out of place that's fantastic the entire sink because i had dishes in the sink the entire sink was wiped down like no water spots either like she dried the sink too that's my loaded the dishwasher marry this woman uh is that what i'm supposed to do i do wait keep going she loaded the dishwasher um she folded her towel and her washcloth and laid it on the sink. Oh, she showered? She showered. She straightened up the pillows on the couch. Very important. I love her. Did she fluff the seats

00:35:37 - 00:35:43 | Speaker 3:

and stuff? I don't know. She might have.

00:35:43 - 00:35:49 | Speaker 4:

I didn't look that hard, but all the pillows were aligned chronologically. It was color-coded. When's the last

00:35:49 - 00:35:51 | Speaker 3:

time they were like that on your couch?

00:35:51 - 00:36:08 | Speaker 4:

Probably three weeks ago when I cleaned up like that. Kind of the first time she was coming over. I was like, okay, let me straightened up type of vibe. Yeah, so she did that. My little desk in my front, I don't know what you call it, but all of my coasters were aligned properly. The PlayStation controllers were evenly lined up.

00:36:09 - 00:36:09 | Speaker 5:

She was touching everything.

00:36:09 - 00:36:16 | Speaker 4:

Bro, she was like, she was touching everything. And I don't know. Wait, why is this a big,

00:36:16 - 00:36:17 | Speaker 1:

like, bad or big deal?

00:36:17 - 00:36:34 | Speaker 4:

I just don't know. Because to me, it's one of two things. Either you have OCD and you're a clean freak, which is okay. Do your thing. or you really, really like me. And this is a sign of where you're at in a relationship. Yeah. If I can even say relationship.

00:36:34 - 00:36:42 | Speaker 1:

I think it's both. I wouldn't call it OCD. I think she just likes being neat and clean. And I also think she likes you and respects you and wanted to do that for you.

00:36:42 - 00:36:59 | Speaker 4:

But the neat and clean thing for me is like, if you mess something up, you make sure you're neat and clean with your things to go the extra mile to like clean. She cleaned my stove too. Oh my God. Like the stove was clean. Wants to come over to my apartment.

00:37:00 - 00:37:12 | Speaker 3:

Wait, I can't believe that you would even look at this in any light than this is a girl I want to marry. Like this is somebody that I want to have a relationship with. You would look at this as a negative?

00:37:12 - 00:37:16 | Speaker 4:

I don't. I'm just asking a question. I don't know.

00:37:16 - 00:37:23 | Speaker 1:

I think this is big. It's a huge green flag. So you wanted to take a bunch of stuff off your plate so that you could just relax when you got home.

00:37:24 - 00:37:27 | Speaker 4:

She's being nice, helpful. We like her. Have y'all ever done this?

00:37:28 - 00:37:37 | Speaker 1:

All the, I mean, I say all the time. I would have done the same thing. I feel like, I don't know, that's just in my nature to leave a space neat.

00:37:38 - 00:37:39 | Speaker 3:

So you do that, Shannon?

00:37:39 - 00:37:54 | Speaker 1:

Even if I go to my friend's house and I see that she's got, like my friend Lindsay, I love her to death, but she's always got crap all over her counters. If she goes into the other room to take care of one of the kids or something, I always am cleaning it up. Always. I would think a woman would be offended by that. We all do that for each other. Really?

00:37:55 - 00:37:59 | Speaker 3:

So she's actually good with that? Yeah. But if you went over to a guy's house, like if you went to Wes's house when you were dating.

00:37:59 - 00:38:08 | Speaker 1:

Like when Wes and I first started dating, although Wes is very much a neat freak. But yeah, like I feel like I would do that. Or I did that.

00:38:08 - 00:38:10 | Speaker 4:

Have you been in a situation like this? You were over at a guy's house.

00:38:11 - 00:38:25 | Speaker 5:

No, because I haven't really been with a guy like that. But I would absolutely do that. I feel like that's just like a nice thing to do for them. If you don't, you're a flop. I will say it's like more serious. I wouldn't do that, like, my first or second time seeing the guy. Yeah, how many times?

00:38:25 - 00:38:28 | Speaker 4:

What if it was your first or second time staying at his place?

00:38:29 - 00:38:32 | Speaker 5:

But how long have you been talking? Say, like, a month.

00:38:32 - 00:38:34 | Speaker 4:

Um, maybe.

00:38:35 - 00:38:36 | Speaker 5:

Not to that extent. Right.

00:38:36 - 00:38:39 | Speaker 1:

I'm still loading the dishwasher, making the bed, but I'm not scrubbing your stove.

00:38:40 - 00:38:40 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that part.

00:38:41 - 00:38:43 | Speaker 1:

By the way, don't you clean up before a girl comes over.

00:38:43 - 00:38:55 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but this wasn't, like, my house is never, well, I've gone through my filthy stages. Yeah. The last six months, I've turned a new leaf, and I'm, like, a clean guy now. So the house wasn't dirty.

00:38:55 - 00:38:55 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:38:55 - 00:38:59 | Speaker 4:

Like, she wasn't in there, you know what I'm saying, with my shindley little air mop, like, scrubbing up and stuff.

00:39:00 - 00:39:04 | Speaker 3:

What if she did, like, Josiah's laundry for her?

00:39:04 - 00:39:11 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's way too much. I make sure Josiah's door shut. I don't need nobody seeing that. Is he messy? Oh, my God. Yeah. That boy need help.

00:39:12 - 00:39:14 | Speaker 3:

Does he have tube socks all over the floor?

00:39:14 - 00:39:20 | Speaker 4:

He has science projects. Josiah has a water bottle that I don't know what was inside of it, but it's been there for four years.

00:39:20 - 00:39:20 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh.

00:39:20 - 00:39:21 | Speaker 4:

It's changed colors.

00:39:22 - 00:39:26 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh. What's up, Megan? Megan, what do you think about this girl?

00:39:26 - 00:39:27 | Speaker 2:

Hi, good morning.

00:39:27 - 00:39:28 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, good morning.

00:39:30 - 00:39:41 | Speaker 2:

So I'm just going to go ahead and say that I was the girl that cleaned before I left. And I'm now married to the guy. So it ended up working out.

00:39:41 - 00:39:49 | Speaker 1:

Did you do it just because that's you? that was your nature or because you wanted to impress him specifically um well it's kind of

00:39:49 - 00:40:07 | Speaker 2:

like my love language is like you know doing things for others yeah yes so like when he would before he would come home from work i would make sure you know like his towels were folded He had a towel in the bathroom ready for his shower. Like, just so it was very easy and smooth for when he came home from work.

00:40:07 - 00:40:08 | Speaker 7:

So. Look at that. And she married up.

00:40:08 - 00:40:11 | Speaker 2:

And he got me a little bit brownie points, but now I'm married.

00:40:11 - 00:40:17 | Speaker 7:

It all worked out. He wiped you up right there. Nikki does not like this. What's up, Nikki?

00:40:17 - 00:40:48 | Speaker 4:

This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. This is a huge red flag, Kevin. Run. What? Tell me why, Nikki. Run. Because, Kevin, and I think you know who I am. I work at Fox, too. Kevin, you know I mean business. Okay. Don't mess with this girl. She's crazy. Really? Then what happens when you get married? What else do you have to look forward to? A clean house. What else is she going to do? Yeah. Wait, why is this a red flag, though? You can hire Molly made. Hire Molly made Kevin run.

00:40:48 - 00:40:52 | Speaker 6:

But, Nikki, like Shannon said, why is it crazy? Why is it a red flag?

00:40:52 - 00:40:57 | Speaker 4:

Because she's looking through all your stuff. She is looking through all your stuff right now. Trust me.

00:40:57 - 00:40:59 | Speaker 7:

Oh, man. Nikki, that's hard.

00:40:59 - 00:41:06 | Speaker 4:

Now, I will say this, though. She's already been in Josiah's room. Trust me. I put up all the look. She already checked it all out.

00:41:06 - 00:41:11 | Speaker 6:

All the important documents and stuff, I'll make sure those are somewhere that's just not listed. She found them. Trust me.

00:41:11 - 00:41:12 | Speaker 4:

We will find them.

00:41:12 - 00:41:14 | Speaker 7:

You're not alone, by the way.

00:41:14 - 00:41:14 | Speaker 4:

She already found them.

00:41:15 - 00:41:19 | Speaker 7:

You're not alone, Nikki. 586 says it's pathetic to clean someone else's space.

00:41:20 - 00:41:23 | Speaker 4:

Yes, it is. She didn't do a deep, yeah. It's so desperate.

00:41:24 - 00:41:35 | Speaker 6:

wow that's crazy i'm not you know what's crazy now that i'm thinking about it she straightened up my refrigerator too oh whoa she like it was kind of jumbled in there but so she like it was

00:41:35 - 00:41:41 | Speaker 7:

very aligned did she look through to see which was expired mayonnaise or yeah no i probably got

00:41:41 - 00:41:48 | Speaker 6:

a jar of pickles with like one pickle in there what's up tyra i'm sorry i'm laughing at y'all

00:41:48 - 00:42:41 | Speaker 1:

Good morning, guys. Good morning. So regarding that last call, I would not say it's a red flag. You don't do it for everybody. You know what I'm saying? Like, I'm 55 years old, and I dated a guy before for a while, and he was a firefighter, so he would leave me at his house, you know. And he wasn't a complete mess, but if I'm there, I'm going to straighten it up. and I never looked through any of his stuff ever, ever. So that is not necessarily something that she's doing. But what I will say is that we audition sometimes, Kevin. We want you to know that, you know, we can do this for you. So it's kind of a 50-50 type of thing, you know, where it's kind of coming from her because that's who she is, because that's who I am. But I'm only going to do so much.

00:42:41 - 00:42:54 | Speaker 6:

Did you thank her for this? I know it's so crazy you ask that question, because literally, I don't know. And I was having that thought actively before you asked it, literally about to text her and say, I don't know if I thanked you.

00:42:55 - 00:43:05 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God. Should I just let it go? Well, she's now thinking. Yeah, you got to. Hold on, Stan. I got two people here that have opposite points of view. Patty, who says, what, Patty?

00:43:06 - 00:43:11 | Speaker 5:

Oh, good morning. I say it's a red flag, too. You don't like it?

00:43:12 - 00:43:18 | Speaker 7:

Hold on one sec, real quick. Taylor's also on with us. Taylor, you disagree. You don't think that this can be a red flag?

00:43:20 - 00:43:45 | Speaker 2:

No, I mean, I think her name was Nikki. What she was saying about going through your stuff and looking at your notes and things like that, I mean, obviously she's done what Kevin mentioned, cleaning. I was not thinking about going through things one bit. yeah what about about making sure your space is nice and clean yeah she was organizing

00:43:45 - 00:44:01 | Speaker 5:

patty why do you think there's something wrong with that um i think it's more of here's how i think you should live here's how i think you should um and i say that i think it's interesting that i can't remember who just said it but she said when she goes to her friend's house

00:44:01 - 00:44:05 | Speaker 7:

her island's always shannon shannon said that yeah shannon goes to her i just do it to help

00:44:05 - 00:44:17 | Speaker 5:

Here's the interesting thing about that. Shannon said, when she goes in the other room, I organize it. Probably because she's not, like, hanging out with her then.

00:44:17 - 00:44:20 | Speaker 3:

Because I know she's busy. I do it while she's in front of me, too.

00:44:20 - 00:44:21 | Speaker 5:

Why can't you do it in front of her?

00:44:21 - 00:44:27 | Speaker 3:

Are you seriously? Okay. Like, that's a bad thing? Yeah. Is helping out somebody or a friend who...

00:44:27 - 00:44:56 | Speaker 5:

I just, I was in a relation. No, I don't, you know, we all have our, I was just in a relationship, and when I was going over to his home i it was a mess and it drove me crazy but it was his home and i did i didn't not i didn't feel it was my place i want to invite shannon over to my house i would make dinner and clean up but the things that i didn't think i liked i didn't just take care of it

00:44:56 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 3:

i think for some people it is just their nature to do that

00:44:59 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 4:

It's

00:45:00 - 00:45:03 | Speaker 2:

Especially things you're touching. Like if she used a dish, yeah, clean it.

00:45:03 - 00:45:05 | Speaker 1:

What if she threw out something that you really wanted?

00:45:06 - 00:45:08 | Speaker 2:

That would have been where we would drop the line.

00:45:08 - 00:45:08 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:45:09 - 00:45:15 | Speaker 1:

Like all the other girls' phone numbers that are all sitting there on the counter. There are none of those. Yeah.

00:45:17 - 00:45:25 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo's Summer of Cars, Cash, and Gas. Driven by Gordon Chevrolet in Garden City. Get in in a few minutes on Mojo in the Morning.

00:45:25 - 00:45:33 | Speaker 1:

All right. It is Mojo in the Morning show. So Shannon posted a picture yesterday on her social media and said people were mean.

00:45:33 - 00:46:42 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I thought it was freaking hysterical. So I wore jorts to work yesterday. What did you just say? Nothing. Oh, so I mean, I don't know. I love them. I thought they were really comfortable. I wore them on vacation last week as well. And my 12 year old Lucy would just roasted me like was so embarrassed that I was going leave the hotel room in these jorts and she was like mom like they're hideous whatever so I posted a photo of them on Instagram with the caption Lucy is roasting me for my jorts but I don't care I love them the comments that I got in my dms were amazing um one person said millennial dudes wore these back in high school and they're bad okay yeah that's well so I thought um some of them were just like all caps absolutely no another one no one wants those huckleberry finn good luck catching crawdads down by the creek is this what you wore yesterday to work yeah but you probably didn't notice because i was wearing the jersey i thought it looked good

00:46:42 - 00:46:52 | Speaker 2:

for jersey i will say this though shannon you have a very very beautiful sense of style those are not the most flattering things interesting that's but that's the style

00:46:52 - 00:46:59 | Speaker 3:

People kept asking me, what does Wes think? I'm like, I didn't ask, nor am I going to ask. Because I like wearing them. They are comfy.

00:46:59 - 00:47:04 | Speaker 1:

A lot of people don't like that jorts are back, but they're back in a big way.

00:47:04 - 00:47:10 | Speaker 3:

I just like Shannon and other stuff. These are like oversized, down-to-the-knee jorts.

00:47:11 - 00:47:14 | Speaker 2:

They look like you were going gardening.

00:47:15 - 00:47:17 | Speaker 3:

I love that aesthetic. That's your opinion.

00:47:17 - 00:47:20 | Speaker 2:

Who else opinion am I supposed to give? Of course it's my opinion.

00:47:21 - 00:47:32 | Speaker 1:

Did you go in these people that were really negative to you? Did you go back and look and see what they look like? Because my favorite is when somebody calls somebody else out and then you go look at them and you're like, okay.

00:47:32 - 00:47:33 | Speaker 3:

No, I mean, I have done that before.

00:47:33 - 00:47:36 | Speaker 1:

That hair went out of style, you know.

00:47:36 - 00:47:40 | Speaker 2:

They typically got one post and a profile picture of AI cars. Yeah.

00:47:42 - 00:47:47 | Speaker 1:

Thoughts on the Jorts thing because Jorts are back. Jorts are back.

00:47:47 - 00:47:54 | Speaker 3:

Abercrombie has the sweat, the sweatpant jorts, by the way, too. Oh, I love those. They're so great. I bought those, too.

00:47:55 - 00:48:01 | Speaker 1:

It's funny because I think that those were very stylish. They were longer than I would, you know, call jorts.

00:48:01 - 00:48:10 | Speaker 3:

No, see, that's the thing. Like, short jorts are for, like, Lucy Samantha's age. The longer, oversized jorts are for.

00:48:10 - 00:48:37 | Speaker 2:

Now they almost go down to people's ankles. See, look, I took a picture of you. uh that is the most uncluttered freaking photos do not post that photo i would wear that outfit why did you take that picture because i was outside on the phone and i was looking through our little people i was like shannon look weird as hell right now so you're wait were you one of those people complimentary of every weird thing you wear i thought i start out i love your style

00:48:37 - 00:48:42 | Speaker 3:

i do i absolutely do my favorite nobody wants to see those huckleberry

00:48:43 - 00:48:48 | Speaker 1:

That's a good look. Kevin had his cardigan on over his jersey yesterday.

00:48:48 - 00:48:50 | Speaker 2:

I had my Taylor Swift cardigan on.

00:48:50 - 00:49:02 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. That was a good look. By the way, it's funny to see certain things that came back. Like a couple years ago when Cargo's came back, I thought Cargo's would never come back.

00:49:03 - 00:49:07 | Speaker 2:

Like, Kev wears bell-bottom jeans. Listen, those are my favorite jeans in the world.

00:49:08 - 00:49:09 | Speaker 1:

You know what the problem is?

00:49:09 - 00:49:11 | Speaker 3:

They're actual bell-bottoms, too. They're not flair.

00:49:11 - 00:49:14 | Speaker 2:

You look like you're going to a disco. I am. Every day's a party.

00:49:15 - 00:49:35 | Speaker 1:

The problem sometimes with some of the things that are coming back, because they're bigger, baggier, is that you look at pictures over time, and now you're going to look at pictures from like 10 years ago or five years ago, like when it was skinny and everything like that. Everybody's wearing really tight stuff. You look like you gained weight and you didn't in some of the stuff that-

00:49:35 - 00:49:49 | Speaker 3:

Well, it's so funny, because I love skinny jeans, and then I was told that those went out. I'm like, I don't care. I still like wearing those. And then I really do like wearing baggier bottoms now. And Wes is like, you look like a Spice Girl when you do it.

00:49:49 - 00:49:52 | Speaker 2:

Low rises back. I'm a fan of low rise.

00:49:52 - 00:49:54 | Speaker 3:

I'm having two babies. I'm not doing that.

00:49:54 - 00:49:55 | Speaker 2:

Show me your hip bones.

00:49:55 - 00:49:56 | Speaker 3:

No. I like it.

00:49:57 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 1:

No. What is, is there a fact?

00:50:00 - 00:50:02 | Speaker 4:

Is there a fashion that you wish would come back? That you wish that...

00:50:02 - 00:50:03 | Speaker 6:

Gauchos. No, I'm just kidding.

00:50:04 - 00:50:05 | Speaker 4:

I feel like those are good.

00:50:06 - 00:50:07 | Speaker 2:

They were comfy.

00:50:08 - 00:50:11 | Speaker 4:

Jerseys, but we did it yesterday. Jerseys was a good time.

00:50:11 - 00:50:17 | Speaker 2:

Is there something girls wear that you cannot stand when girls wear? That is so super unattractive to you besides jorts?

00:50:19 - 00:50:24 | Speaker 4:

I hate, like, little t-shirts. And if you get a shot at the doctor, like, I can see, like, the band-aid.

00:50:25 - 00:50:26 | Speaker 3:

He's coming at me!

00:50:28 - 00:50:29 | Speaker 6:

He's attacking me!

00:50:30 - 00:50:43 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I think for girls, I think most guys love sundresses. Oh, sundresses are. Sundress season is the way to go. What's up, Jordan? How you doing?

00:50:45 - 00:50:54 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so I think it was like a week or so ago, you had a topic about Mojo wearing shorts down to his knees, and you were calling on my old man.

00:50:55 - 00:50:57 | Speaker 3:

And then yesterday she wore the shorts down to her knees. Oh, you know what?

00:50:57 - 00:51:01 | Speaker 2:

That was a replay from a couple years ago. I've since changed my mind.

00:51:02 - 00:51:11 | Speaker 3:

It really was. It was for Best of the Year. So I was out of style a couple years ago. Yeah, Jordan. Thanks. That's the problem.

00:51:12 - 00:51:18 | Speaker 2:

That topic was about short, guys wearing shorts. Shorts, yeah. Which is in right now. I love.

00:51:19 - 00:51:28 | Speaker 3:

I changed the length. Although I got to tell you, there's a place that I like to go shop at, and they had five-inch shorts. Guys should not be doing five inches. That's what Wes wears.

00:51:28 - 00:51:29 | Speaker 2:

Do you go to Viori?

00:51:30 - 00:51:30 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:51:30 - 00:51:32 | Speaker 2:

That's where he goes and he gets the five inch.

00:51:32 - 00:51:36 | Speaker 3:

I'll be honest with you. When I bend over, the five inches turn into about an inch and a half.

00:51:36 - 00:51:38 | Speaker 2:

But he's way shorter than you.

00:51:38 - 00:51:42 | Speaker 3:

Although it does make your penis look bigger. What's going on? Hi, Martha.

00:51:44 - 00:51:54 | Speaker 6:

Hi. Kevin, you need to leave Shannon alone. You were wearing MRI shorts a couple of weeks ago. There you go. Them boys almost disintegrating.

00:51:54 - 00:51:58 | Speaker 2:

What I have to say. He pulled them off and made them look cool.

00:51:59 - 00:51:59 | Speaker 4:

No one knew.

00:52:00 - 00:52:01 | Speaker 2:

I don't know how.

00:52:01 - 00:52:04 | Speaker 6:

I guarantee the George looked better than Scrub Shorts.

00:52:06 - 00:52:08 | Speaker 3:

Something funny about Kevin. All right, guys.

00:52:08 - 00:52:09 | Speaker 6:

Have a good day.

00:52:09 - 00:52:36 | Speaker 3:

Something funny about Kevin, I've never been to Kevin's place, so I've never seen it. I'm on the phone with Joe yesterday, and I said, Kevin was so funny. He came to work, and he had all of these jerseys. He must have brought in 30 or 40 jerseys. I said, who keeps 30 or 40 jerseys? And Joe goes, my guest closet that's in my apartment is all jerseys. I'm like, throw that stuff away. Joe gets it. But that's what he likes wearing. He keeps the ones same like Cav from like middle school.

00:52:36 - 00:52:45 | Speaker 4:

We did Jersey and maybe we don't have a cool name for it, but we got to do something every week. Today's Friday. Jort day. Next Friday, Jort day?

00:52:45 - 00:53:00 | Speaker 3:

Jort day. Everybody's got to wear Jorts. I got to find some. What's going on, Rachel? Hi, Rach. Oh, I got to push you down. Hi, Rachel. There you are. Hi. Hold on. What am I doing here? Oh, there it is. I couldn't hear the click.

00:53:00 - 00:53:00 | Speaker 6:

There we go.

00:53:00 - 00:53:08 | Speaker 3:

I got you. You know what? You ever have that happen to you where you're trying to slide that iPhone button there to pick up somebody and you can't pick it up?

00:53:08 - 00:53:10 | Speaker 2:

She's playing the SNL song, Jorts. What song is that?

00:53:11 - 00:53:15 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? Okay. Dang it. I'll find it. What's going on, Rachel? Hi.

00:53:16 - 00:53:29 | Speaker 6:

Hi. Shannon, did your Jorts come with a pair of New Balances? And I love New Balance. My uncle used to wear jorts back in the 90s. Please leave those back in the 90s.

00:53:29 - 00:53:32 | Speaker 3:

Some monarchs. So you're not a fan at all of them.

00:53:32 - 00:53:38 | Speaker 6:

I'm going to wear them tomorrow now. I'm not a fan. I mean, I could just go right past it. I don't want them to come back. Please stop.

00:53:39 - 00:53:42 | Speaker 3:

That's not fun. Kim, what's up? Hi.

00:53:43 - 00:53:52 | Speaker 5:

Hey, good morning, good morning. Well, you know, Shannon, the rule of fashion, the rule of thumb is if you're old enough to wear them the first time, you're too old to wear them the first time.

00:53:52 - 00:53:54 | Speaker 2:

That's funny.

00:53:55 - 00:53:56 | Speaker 3:

That's amazing.

00:53:56 - 00:53:57 | Speaker 2:

You know what's so funny?

00:53:57 - 00:53:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, go ahead.

00:53:58 - 00:54:00 | Speaker 2:

I used to wear them, and we would cuff the ends.

00:54:00 - 00:54:03 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. That was pegging. Wasn't it called pegging?

00:54:03 - 00:54:11 | Speaker 2:

No, I never called it that, but I think that was like in the 50s. You might remember that better than me. No. You would cuff the bottoms of your jean shorts. What do you call it?

00:54:12 - 00:54:26 | Speaker 3:

Well, maybe it wasn't jean shorts. It was more jeans, but you would cuff the bottoms of your jeans. What do you call it, though? And you would call them, I pegged my jeans. it's a whole different term nowadays we didn't think of that back in the day don't miss this

Not every sale happens at the register. Before AT&T Business Wireless, checking out customers on our mobile POS systems took too long. Basically a staring contest where everyone loses. It's crazy what people will say during an awkward silence. Now transactions are done before the silence takes hold. That means I can focus on the task at hand and make an extra sale or two. Sometimes I do miss the bonding time. Sometimes.

Mojo in the mornings, Dirty on the 30.

00:58:37 - 00:58:40 | Speaker 6:

All right, Shannon, what's going on in the Dirty on the 30?

00:58:40 - 00:58:51 | Speaker 5:

Tigers rookie Eduardo Valencia making his dream debut at Comerica Park against the Oakland A's last night. A home run in his first MLB at-bat.

00:58:51 - 00:59:12 | Speaker 11:

Eduardo gets his first ever Major League time after getting to Triple-A for the first time last year for 50 games. Valencia in the air, straight away center! And out of here! What a night!

00:59:13 - 00:59:17 | Speaker 5:

It was so sweet. He was so emotional about this.

00:59:17 - 00:59:20 | Speaker 11:

Eduardo Valencia downstairs with Daniela Bruce.

00:59:21 - 00:59:35 | Speaker 2:

thank you Jason Eduardo what a day for you you make your major league debut your first at-bat it's your first home run what are you thinking as you watch that ball fly to center field I was thinking like I was trying to get a

00:59:35 - 00:59:53 | Speaker 3:

contact like get a good piece just be the more calm that I can do it I was so excited I mean I was waiting a lot for this for my family I'm so excited.

00:59:53 - 01:00:00 | Speaker 2:

I know that your parents couldn't make the trip. They're still in Venezuela. What would your message be to them tonight?

01:00:00 - 01:00:22 | Speaker 1:

This is for all the Venezuelan people, for all my family, for all the coaches in Dominicans, in Florida, for everybody. They give me everything. This is for all my family. My wife is right there. I don't know where. Right there. I love you. I was waiting a lot for this moment. It's so exciting.

01:00:23 - 01:00:29 | Speaker 3:

This is so special. And we saw you give a little heart symbol behind home plate. Was that to your wife?

01:00:29 - 01:00:40 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, to my wife. She knows how work I'm doing. She's part of this every time. I mean, I'm so excited. I can tell right now. I'm so excited.

01:00:40 - 01:00:46 | Speaker 3:

We'll let you go celebrate with your wife and your teammates. What an incredible night. Can I get a jersey with his name on it?

01:00:46 - 01:00:53 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. Thank you so much for your time. Thank you for everybody. I'm rooting for him. Everybody home. Love you. Love you, Venezuela. Thank you. I'm serious.

01:00:53 - 01:00:54 | Speaker 4:

That's the stuff right there, guys.

01:00:54 - 01:01:56 | Speaker 2:

Isn't it amazing? But Daniela, by the way, you did a great job. And shout out to Jason Benetti and Andy Dirks, who after that just kept quiet and let the moment of him and his wife hugging and kissing each other just be a visual. I will say this. The guy is not a younger, younger rookie. Like, I don't know his age. He looks like he's a little bit older. Like, it's taken him a little bit of time to get to the AAA and then come up to the majors. and um you could tell especially and i posted it i think i uh shared it from the detroit tigers thing uh jenna or uh justin verlander in the dugout the veterans were so happy for this young guy and verlander had a look on his face like this is why honestly i want to be with this team and be in there because there's a lot of young talent that's on that team so it's pretty damn cool yeah Yeah, what a great moment. Can you imagine that? Great story. Your first time at bat, you hit to the deepest part of the ballpark. It's amazing. That's great.

01:01:56 - 01:02:38 | Speaker 4:

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey's Madison Square Garden wedding may go down as one of the most expensive celebrity weddings ever. There we go. Wedding experts tell me they're estimating that this thing was right around the $30 million mark with about $5 million spent on flowers. Alone. own. Holy crap. The venue itself, I mean, renting Madison Square Garden is not cheap. So they're saying that was probably another five to 10 mil right there. I mean, shutting down the streets, the staff, the food, the average American wedding, just so you can compare, comes in at about $34,000

01:02:38 - 01:02:44 | Speaker 2:

right now. She's not getting any backlash on that too. A lot of times the celebrities will

01:02:44 - 01:02:48 | Speaker 4:

get backlash on that i mean but why they have the money they want to spend the money okay i know

01:02:48 - 01:02:53 | Speaker 2:

there's a lot of people though that you know we get a lot of homeless and a lot of people she did

01:02:53 - 01:03:34 | Speaker 4:

make a bunch of donations to a lot of different organizations her and travis that was their thing but and lastly tickets to see madison beer are going for bargain prices right now was she in town last night was it last night she was at the fox lydia yep okay and i know that her boyfriend los angeles chargers quarterback justin herbert was there with her he's in town he was in town Really? Yeah, he was in town last night on our show. Everybody was spotting him. But anyway, so she is two months into her Lock It tour. She's sold out venues in Austin, Vegas, San Francisco, L.A. She's expecting to max out Madison Square Garden, speaking of this weekend. But is it because ticket prices are so crazy cheap?

01:03:34 - 01:03:36 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's nice.

01:03:36 - 01:04:15 | Speaker 4:

Some fans were posting screenshots of tickets they got for just $7.14. The California Post also saw tickets selling for as low as $16 for some of her remaining tour stops, which, if you're a fan, that's incredible. So now people are like, well, she only sold it out because the ticket prices are so affordable. I think there are three shows to go, Toronto, Boston, and then the finale in New York City. Didn't we have Madison at one of our Jingle Balls? We did. The Fox Theater looked packed last night. She put it on her story. Yeah, it's awesome. Hey, miss anything from today or this week? Yes, I would, too. I would take it. What are you driving nowadays?

01:05:13 - 01:05:15 | Speaker 1:

A Chevy Blazer. Okay.

01:05:15 - 01:05:21 | Speaker 2:

Let's get a Chevy Blazer and a Chevy Trax in that driveway. You got any more drivers in that house that might need one?

01:05:23 - 01:05:25 | Speaker 1:

I'm a 16-year-old son.

01:05:25 - 01:05:32 | Speaker 2:

Okay. That would be a nice. Which car would he get? Would he get the brand new one, or would he get the mom one that you just had?

01:05:34 - 01:05:38 | Speaker 1:

Probably mine. Okay. I would get the little newer one.

01:05:38 - 01:05:44 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. New car smell. I love it. Unless Kevin's sitting next to you after eating yogurt the night before.

01:05:44 - 01:05:45 | Speaker 1:

It'll still be a new car smell.

01:05:46 - 01:05:52 | Speaker 2:

Congratulations to you. You hang on the phone for just one second, and we're going to get your information from you. Have a fantastic weekend. Appreciate you.

01:05:53 - 01:05:55 | Speaker 3:

All right. Thank you. You too. Thank you.

01:05:55 - 01:06:01 | Speaker 2:

I can't believe it's the weekend. Actually, this week felt weird to me because I couldn't catch up on my sleep.

01:06:02 - 01:06:02 | Speaker 3:

Same.

01:06:02 - 01:06:14 | Speaker 2:

I was so tired all week, and I found myself not doing much. You know, I had the knee thing, but also, honestly, I was just trying to get. But the weekend, I think, is going to be good. I think it's going to be a good weekend.

01:06:14 - 01:06:21 | Speaker 1:

Me too. The weather looks good. You got a new knee, man. You ready to get out here? I got it. I'm going. You got your Megan Stallion knee. I'm going. Yeah.

01:06:22 - 01:08:41 | Speaker 2:

All right. It's Mojo in the Morning Show. I want to get this person on the air to talk about it. The only problem is this person is never up before 10 a.m. Because they go out all the time. They go out at night and they're always, you know, out late and then late going home and sleeping in until 10. I don't think they've ever listened to this radio show. But so my buddy's daughter has this happening. She's like mid-20s. Okay. And she has this going on lately and he was telling me the story. He was telling me a story about how she will go out with her girlfriends and they will hang out in like Birmingham, which is a suburb here in the area that has a lot of restaurants and, you know, late night fare. And she won't drive to Birmingham because obviously she wants to drink and have some cocktails. And so she'll take an Uber home. And he was telling me that she no longer can take Ubers home. she has to call him or call her mom to come pick her up because the uber drivers are creepy so let me let me read real quick because i wrote down some of the comments that he made the quotes and stuff he said okay here you go here's one this is just one driver no this is numerous drivers okay so this has happened to her numerous times from different drivers and i don't know as a woman if i would get into an uber after hearing some of these things um it starts with the guys asking where's your boyfriend where's your husband like why are they asking that you know and then it goes into are you dating right now and what kind of guys do you date to in some of the cases she's had it where the guys would talk to her about how beautiful she is or how she looked that night and say you look really good were you drinking tonight like to ask that question almost in kind of a way that you're like what's up and one particular guy he was telling me drove her to her house now she lives with her parents so drove her to her house which her parents are there and got out of the car and said I want to make sure you get to the door to walk her to the door yeah all right somebody needs to talk to me about this somebody needs to Tell me. I thought we had Uber Woman or whatever it was. Wasn't there a second?

01:08:41 - 01:08:44 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but it's harder to get those ones.

01:08:44 - 01:08:55 | Speaker 2:

So Uber, and by the way, I believe that they have all these levels of Uber, but there's really no level because I tried to get an Uber black one time because I figured to myself, I want to get an Uber black. It was a Subaru.

01:08:55 - 01:08:56 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:08:56 - 01:09:09 | Speaker 2:

You can't black car. It's a Subaru. What was her name, the driver? Actually, you know what? It was a black man. I looked at him. I go, are you driving a woman's car right now? Whose car are you driving? That is... Renee? Is this Renee's car?

01:09:10 - 01:09:19 | Speaker 3:

Those, I mean, the second half of the comments are definitely very creepy. Yes. Like, have you been drinking is... Here's the thing.

01:09:19 - 01:09:24 | Speaker 1:

Well, I mean, if I'm an Uber driver, I want to know in case you try to throw up in my backseat or something, right?

01:09:24 - 01:09:32 | Speaker 3:

But if it's to that point, I know. I don't need to ask. You know if somebody's going to vomit and if they're very clearly intoxicated.

01:09:32 - 01:09:57 | Speaker 2:

I said to my friend, I said, like, how safe do you feel about this? and he said he said honestly i i would rather wake up in the middle of the night or or late you know middle of the night for him is probably 10 o'clock at night or something like that but i'd rather wake up f from a sleep to go pick her up or know that i have to stay up to go pick her up at like midnight or whatever it is making sure she gets home safe yeah you know yeah that's it's crazy

01:09:57 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 3:

i feel blessed i've never had a creepy uber experience and

01:10:00 - 01:10:04 | Speaker 2:

I actually have had an Uber driver who walked me to my garage,

01:10:00 - 01:10:29 | Speaker 3:

Thank you.

01:10:04 - 01:10:15 | Speaker 2:

but he was this little sweet old man. I had had him several times and I had been drinking and he was like, I'm just going to walk you to, and I didn't think anything weird. I mean, when I say old, he was probably 80.

01:10:15 - 01:10:20 | Speaker 7:

What would you, what do you think he would have done? Would he have a heart attack if you said, I want to bite you in for a nightcap?

01:10:20 - 01:10:25 | Speaker 2:

I honestly did not feel anything weird. He was very kind. He tased you.

01:10:26 - 01:10:30 | Speaker 7:

You wake up in the trunk. The old guy's great until you find out.

01:10:30 - 01:10:32 | Speaker 2:

I think she was more so leaning on me as we walked.

01:10:32 - 01:10:37 | Speaker 7:

He's like, look at this lady here. Nicole, what's going on? Hi.

01:10:38 - 01:10:54 | Speaker 5:

Hi. So I'm a Lyft driver, and with Uber, they do background checks, but they're not as contingent on your background check. You can have a felony and still drive for Uber.

01:10:54 - 01:10:57 | Speaker 7:

Really? That doesn't mean. But not even that.

01:10:57 - 01:11:08 | Speaker 2:

a good thing for them not even that that's terrible if that's true it's right you don't you don't need to have a record to just be creepy true right but they don't but you can also like

01:11:08 - 01:11:23 | Speaker 5:

if so for somebody on the platform driving for uber somebody else that you don't know could be also driving for them like with lyft they do verify identity verification so they know that you're the one driving.

01:11:23 - 01:11:24 | Speaker 7:

Interesting.

01:11:24 - 01:11:26 | Speaker 5:

With Uber, they don't do that.

01:11:26 - 01:11:34 | Speaker 7:

I've had that happen to me, Nicole, where a driver showed up, and I'm like, that wasn't the person in the picture. Like, you're not. Yeah. That has happened. That's interesting. I'm confused.

01:11:34 - 01:11:37 | Speaker 5:

Like a friend of yours could drive off of your account.

01:11:37 - 01:11:43 | Speaker 7:

Off of your account, using your account. Wow. Hold on a second here. Michelle, what's up, Michelle? How you doing?

01:11:46 - 01:11:53 | Speaker 4:

Hey. Hi. We were taught not to get in cars with strangers. Isn't that funny? We get in cars with strangers, and we pay for that.

01:11:53 - 01:12:00 | Speaker 7:

Isn't that crazy? It doesn't make any sense, Michelle. Michelle, have you ever been in a ride share and felt uncomfortable?

01:12:02 - 01:12:07 | Speaker 4:

Yes, when I was out in Orange County, California. I thought I was going to die.

01:12:08 - 01:12:08 | Speaker 3:

What happened?

01:12:08 - 01:12:25 | Speaker 4:

This guy was creepy. What happened? He took us on detours where we weren't going. where I was with a friend of mine and I was like, where are you going? And he's like, well, I got to go this way. And I'm like, no, you don't.

01:12:26 - 01:12:40 | Speaker 7:

Okay, so you bring up a really interesting point. He told me that that happened to his daughter once too. So he lives like off of the main drag that goes through the town that she goes to. Like he lives right off of that. He started doing side roads.

01:12:40 - 01:12:42 | Speaker 6:

See, I'm cool with that though.

01:12:42 - 01:12:45 | Speaker 7:

Not if there's a straight line on a busier street.

01:12:45 - 01:13:04 | Speaker 6:

Sometimes I tell you like this. Sometimes when I take, because if I'm drinking and I live downtown and I'm going to, like, say, for example, my cousin's wedding last Friday, the Lyft had us taken away that I wouldn't have taken because I know a better route in order to get there. We all have that where Lyft will send you left and you're like, no, why would they send me that direction? I should have go this way.

01:13:04 - 01:13:25 | Speaker 2:

So I always, and I think it's habit when I get into Uber, I just started using Lyft, which actually I like better. But I always put a map to the destination. If I don't know where I'm going to the destination, I might like I pull up Google Maps if I'm in another town and put the hotel in there so that I can like kind of follow along on my own. Because the Uber app just takes you where your driver's going.

01:13:26 - 01:13:29 | Speaker 7:

But on your Uber, you can see their map that it's telling them to go.

01:13:29 - 01:13:34 | Speaker 2:

No, I know. But I'm saying I'm not paying attention. Like, yeah, I'm kind of not paying attention.

01:13:34 - 01:13:38 | Speaker 7:

But this guy veered off of that map, like the map of where they're going.

01:13:38 - 01:13:43 | Speaker 2:

Which is exactly why I do what I do. I do it all the time when I'm in another city.

01:13:43 - 01:13:48 | Speaker 7:

You shouldn't be allowed to go off of their map because it is identifying where you're going. What's up, Stephanie? How you doing?

01:13:49 - 01:14:05 | Speaker 3:

I'm doing good. I'm the first time, long time. Really long time. Thank you. I was just saying that this just sounds like a nice guy. And since when is walking someone to the door a red flag?

01:14:05 - 01:14:13 | Speaker 7:

Well, when she's wearing a miniskirt and just had a bunch of espresso martinis, you know?

01:14:13 - 01:14:18 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I think it's just her perception, and they could have just been nice, innocent dudes.

01:14:19 - 01:14:20 | Speaker 6:

That's right, Stephanie.

01:14:20 - 01:14:26 | Speaker 7:

Please be safe out there, Stephanie. I just want you to be safe. Thank you for the call. Jovan, what's up, Jovan?

01:14:28 - 01:14:56 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Mojo. Good morning, everybody. Good morning, Mojo. Hey, look. Just real quick. I've been doing this full-time overnight in the Detroit area, only at night. I have gotten pretty much only the fun people, but all of the stories I get are about the drivers being extra creepy. People are way too relaxed, and they don't pay attention. Everybody needs to be careful because these drivers are too many. Unfortunately, they're not. Don't have the best intentions. I hear it all the time.

01:14:56 - 01:15:00 | Speaker 7:

Javon, do you tell them, hey, you got a report?

01:15:00 - 01:15:05 | Speaker 5:

that guy because as of an uber driver that does it the right way i would not want them out there

01:15:05 - 01:15:42 | Speaker 3:

you know absolutely and by the way lyft is the sketchy one really uber i heard i heard that other lady say they you could have a felony uber goes back about 10 to 15 years lyft does not go back as far see i'm cool a lot of that wow yeah i'm hey look listen it's completely fine to do an in-depth check yeah um but all the sketchy stuff that i've that i'm hearing all the time is almost always on lift and just this is what i'm saying though as long as you weren't locked up for no sex crimes like i'm straight you got to be able to drive bro like if you went in there

01:15:42 - 01:15:46 | Speaker 5:

for money laundering what that got to do with me going to starbucks weed crimes i'm okay with you

01:15:46 - 01:16:12 | Speaker 1:

know i'm just trying to go to the store hold on what's up michelle hey i just calling in i so I'm in GR and I was downtown one day and I wanted to go home by myself and all my friends so they took a picture of the license plate and the whole way home the guy was like oh I'm not going to kidnap you laughing and it just made it 10 times worse

01:16:12 - 01:16:19 | Speaker 5:

when they say that to you you're like why are you even thinking that honestly I'm almost at a point now where don't talk to me you know what I mean

01:16:19 - 01:16:20 | Speaker 2:

that's what I've been set at

01:16:20 - 01:16:23 | Speaker 5:

you set it at quiet

01:16:23 - 01:16:25 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's my preference. Quiet preferred.

01:16:25 - 01:16:26 | Speaker 5:

Are they always quiet?

01:16:27 - 01:16:29 | Speaker 2:

No, sometimes they're chatty. And I'm like, did you read what I put in?

01:16:30 - 01:16:47 | Speaker 5:

I worry about you. I do worry about you. Because first off, I see that you wear outfits that are very nice. And you're an attractive lady. And you're going home by yourself. I think you've got to be careful. Yes.

01:16:48 - 01:16:53 | Speaker 2:

One time an Uber, I wanted to say this earlier, he had to make a stop. It was at his house.

01:16:53 - 01:16:55 | Speaker 5:

No way. I remember you. Did you talk about that?

01:16:55 - 01:17:03 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. And then I was like, this is weird. So I looked in the trunk, shell casings. Are you? You looked in the trunk? Kevin just farted for the eighth time.

01:17:03 - 01:17:04 | Speaker 3:

Keep going. Keep going. Shell casings. I love the text.

01:17:04 - 01:17:05 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, shell casings.

01:17:05 - 01:17:07 | Speaker 4:

How did you look in the trunk? You got out of the car and opened the trunk?

01:17:07 - 01:17:17 | Speaker 2:

No, I was in the back seat. And I was like, why are we stopping at his house? And then I just peeked in the back seat, shell casings. Luckily, it was me and a bunch of my friends. If I was by myself, I would have got out of the car. But holy cow.

01:17:18 - 01:17:31 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. What do you have to stop at the house for? Don't know. The gun. Come on with a black bag. Summer vibes mean sunburns, snack runs, and pretending you'll be in better shape next summer. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:17:32 - 01:17:39 | Speaker 5:

All right, it's Mojo in the Morning. Anna is narrowing down which doctor is going to do her augmentation.

01:17:40 - 01:17:46 | Speaker 2:

Yes, I had two consultations this week, and I think I found my doctor.

01:17:46 - 01:17:50 | Speaker 4:

Well, because you told us about a doctor a week or two ago, and he was, like, outrageously expensive.

01:17:50 - 01:17:59 | Speaker 2:

Okay, which I'm finding out is not really that outrageous because both of these doctors, I think he was 14, and these doctors were 12. Oh, okay.

01:18:00 - 01:18:02 | Speaker 5:

But this doctor was kind of weird.

01:18:02 - 01:18:50 | Speaker 2:

I mean, no, not weird. It's just something that I peeped. Both of them were married men. Like, they had wedding rings on, so I know that they were married men. and uh in the consultations they have to measure and touch and he's pulling my boobs up and stuff and he's like okay i think i could get it like this and this and very handsy with my my boobs and i'm just looking at the ring on his finger like i wonder what his wife thinks about this and just the profession in general you're probably seeing primarily women all day yeah i don't know how many guys getting boobs exactly women all day probably attractive touching their boobs looking at their boobs and i'm like this has to be the worst profession for like you to be married

01:18:50 - 01:19:04 | Speaker 4:

to i bet it gets old after a while though you think for them you know it like yeah it's a they're just immune i see it but he probably i'm not saying me but like they're probably like i see you know a hundred sets of boobs a day yeah it's a boob she probably got boobs but then do you even

01:19:04 - 01:19:09 | Speaker 2:

get excited over your wife's boobs if you're looking at boobs all day she's got great boobs

01:19:09 - 01:19:14 | Speaker 5:

yes so i bet you're married to a cosmetic surgeon your wife's got great boobs one of the doctors

01:19:14 - 01:19:28 | Speaker 2:

kept referencing his wife's boobs and i was like did you do the surgery he was like i couldn't i couldn't do it i had to have my friend do it my friend yeah did you ask him who his friend was so you can go get a consultation i did i was like why didn't you do it um but i would i would want

01:19:28 - 01:19:37 | Speaker 5:

to go to the one that i always say who's the doctor that the doctors let operate on them a quick question for you when they do these consultations is there a female nurse in the

01:19:37 - 01:19:46 | Speaker 2:

room with him while he's doing it so one of them didn't which i didn't realize was weird because it was the first doctor that i went to but everyone after that always has a female nurse in there with

01:19:46 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 3:

i like that in those like moments where you know he left hand right hand yeah he juggled yeah do you ever feel like they're doing too much yeah like how do you know the line between this is what he has to do.

01:20:00 - 01:20:21 | Speaker 1:

and this is a little bit more um i don't know but like i think i don't think they were doing too much like the way that they were describing it like they were describing the surgery they're like oh well i pulled this skin over here and wrap this and the incision would go here it was never just like yeah do they pull out the markers no not yet not yet i like that part do you hate

01:20:21 - 01:20:25 | Speaker 4:

that though when they pull the markers out and if they do that it's stuck on you you got sharpie

01:20:25 - 01:20:30 | Speaker 1:

marker on your boobs for a while yeah i mean whoever i'm seeing would be in for a treat that

01:20:30 - 01:20:53 | Speaker 4:

night can they use dry erase like a dry erase board um that's interesting that anna says that she could never see herself in a relationship where it thinks it would be hard for the women who are married to cosmetic surgeons i bet you there's a lot of occupations that are like that too like i like you you think about any of the occupations where primarily your customer base is women. Dr. Warner would be

01:20:53 - 01:20:55 | Speaker 3:

one. The gyno. Yeah,

01:20:55 - 01:21:06 | Speaker 4:

that would be one. Although, where would you rather have? Would you rather have your doctor be or your husband be a doctor that sits there and is touching women all day or a guy that's touching people's garbage?

01:21:07 - 01:21:11 | Speaker 1:

Garbage. You want the garbage man? Easily. Yeah. You want

01:21:11 - 01:21:15 | Speaker 4:

the guy that's hanging on the back of the priority waste vehicle, like throwing in people's

01:21:15 - 01:21:18 | Speaker 1:

banana peels and stuff? Yeah, it looks fun. I would rather that. It looks fun. I don't know.

01:21:18 - 01:21:20 | Speaker 4:

Comes home smelling like that.

01:21:21 - 01:21:23 | Speaker 1:

Better than a bunch of boobies in his face all day.

01:21:24 - 01:21:27 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. That does have to be a tough profession, bro. Yeah.

01:21:27 - 01:21:30 | Speaker 1:

Is there a profession that you wouldn't date as far as women go?

01:21:31 - 01:21:46 | Speaker 3:

I've always said like a stripper, but I think I could do it. Really? Yeah, I think I could do it. I don't want to just, you know, rule them out like that. But in my mind, it would be tough that like somebody else is like looking at my girl. Yeah. But I don't know.

01:21:46 - 01:22:41 | Speaker 4:

I'd have a hard time with a firefighter or a police officer only because they go out every single, or military. They go to work every day. You don't know if that's the last time you're going to see them. You're like afraid for their safety. 844-MOJO-LIVE, text 95500. I'm interestingly enough wondering, you know, the last time that we did a topic about the boobs, it was basically people all with their conversations of, you know, consultations and stuff. How many consultations do you think that an average person does before they do a major event like this? Because I think, and I know people that have had plastic surgery and stuff, a lot of times people get the name from somebody else, and then usually that's the person they go to. Well, because they've seen his or her work. And you have been going to many of these consultations. What are you looking for? Are you looking for the best?

01:22:41 - 01:23:32 | Speaker 1:

your opinion on this right now because this is a decision that i'm making and um something that i was really looking for for is these motiva implants which we talked about it's like a different one it has less than one percent chance of like the bad things that come with like the saline or whatever implants um so that's something that i really want i'm in between two doctors one of them i liked the doctor i liked his knowledge and how he said he would do the surgery however they don't have motiva implants another doctor who i liked he was cool but i didn't like him as much he has the motiva implants so i'm like do i go with the doctor that i like a little bit less because he has the type of implant that i like or do i go with the doctor that i might trust a little bit more but he doesn't have the implant he can't just order him no you have to be like double board certified or something to do these implants that's hard because i do think bedside

01:23:32 - 01:23:54 | Speaker 2:

manner like it does affect your opinion but a lot of these doctors are like their personalities are kind of funky and they don't have good bad manner are they just a little like weirder or i've i've i've come into contact with both male and female doctors who just have interesting personalities but they're incredible at what they do and that's what ultimately matters why do we

01:23:54 - 01:23:59 | Speaker 4:

not see women who are plastic surgeons i'm sure they out there something else i really liked is

01:23:59 - 01:24:11 | Speaker 1:

one of them, all of the nurses had their boobs done by the doctor that I would see. Advertising. So I got to look at all of them and they were like, yeah, he did mine. These are them. Did they show you their boobs? No, but they had on a tight shirt and I was like, okay, those

01:24:11 - 01:24:19 | Speaker 4:

look good. I don't trust that though. Why? You're free. Here's the reason why I don't trust it. Yeah. You know what? It's like a slow week. You know, hey, come on, let's go in the

01:24:19 - 01:24:32 | Speaker 1:

back. You know what I mean? They still got to look good though. Yeah. You know what I mean? I liked hearing from them and they told me the healing process. I was like, okay, this is what I'm going to go through. Which doctor was it that uh the one that did the motiva which i wanted i i think that's your decision and they

01:24:32 - 01:24:42 | Speaker 4:

might have friends and family discount what's going on how you doing taylor hi mojo how's it going good we're uh discussing anna that's who the voice is here that's talking about wanting

01:24:42 - 01:24:48 | Speaker 3:

the boobs your thoughts yeah i think you should get the boobs thank you okay did you get the boobs

01:24:48 - 01:25:07 | Speaker 1:

yes ma'am get the boobs and your doctor doesn't care because i texted in my dad's an ob guy and And he says about 90% of vaginas are not even nice to look at. I can't imagine. I don't know. I like a good vagina. Do you ever ask your dad, though, like, dad? It's like a deli sandwich. I got to dump that. Hold on a second.

01:25:07 - 01:25:08 | Speaker 4:

Do you see how big my eyes got?

01:25:08 - 01:25:28 | Speaker 1:

I got to dump what Kevin just said there. Now that means I can't go to throwback music for a little bit or it will sound weird because of the delay. What is wrong with you? I didn't know you could say that. Quick question, Taylor. Do you ever ask your dad if your mom's is the best vagina that he's ever given an exam to?

01:25:30 - 01:25:35 | Speaker 4:

And unfortunately, I have asked that, and he does say yes. Oh, that's good. Isn't that beautiful, though?

01:25:35 - 01:25:36 | Speaker 2:

I mean, that's, yeah.

01:25:37 - 01:25:42 | Speaker 1:

After all these years, he loves her vagina. That's wonderful.

01:25:42 - 01:25:44 | Speaker 5:

Come home to the best one.

01:25:44 - 01:25:48 | Speaker 1:

See that? That's good. I love that. What's up, John? How you doing?

01:25:51 - 01:26:20 | Speaker 5:

Hey. Listen, I've been listening for 20 years, and first time, long time. Hey, John. John. Hey, I got a little trick. You just mentioned about the permanent marker would be on all day or whatever. But you can do this. You can try this right now, and you'll thank me later. If you accidentally put permanent marker on something, go over it with the dry eraser marker, and it erases right off.

01:26:21 - 01:26:29 | Speaker 1:

Does it really? No. Is it like magic? Yeah, try it right now. Is that that magic marker thing? How do you try it right now? He's playing with us.

01:26:29 - 01:26:48 | Speaker 5:

No, he's trying to get you to ruin it. No, not on your boob. Not on your boob. It's on anything. If you put permanent marker down and you're like, oops, go over it with the dry erase marker and it erases right off. Not your boob, but glass or marker board or whatever. Okay.

01:26:49 - 01:26:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yeah, this guy's trying to get us to graffiti this studio. What's up, Veronica? How you doing?

01:26:56 - 01:26:58 | Speaker 4:

I'm good. How are you guys?

01:26:58 - 01:26:58 | Speaker 1:

We're good.

01:26:58 - 01:27:30 | Speaker 4:

what's happening uh so i'm a first time long time um i was just calling to comment on the bedside manner part of it um i personally think that sometimes some of these surgeons and stuff are just so far and it makes me believe that some of them might be autistic and that could be where some of the bedside manner comes in because they don't have the same people skills like we or i don't want to say we there's one guy i know for

01:27:30 - 01:27:47 | Speaker 1:

sure that is a cosmetic surgeon or plastic surgeon in town here that i've heard that about like the good doctor the show yeah yeah he's he's he's so smart but he comes across weirder because he is so brilliantly smart and yeah interesting that's an interesting thought

01:27:47 - 01:28:00 | Speaker 3:

helena what's up hi so when i was dating um i had a man that i matched with on a dating app that told me that he was a porn star and i was immediately like nope can't do that oh my god

01:28:00 - 01:28:07 | Speaker 4:

yeah would he want you in the future videos did you go on a date with him i did not know he was

01:28:07 - 01:28:38 | Speaker 3:

really up front just saying like this is my job are you are you comfortable with that and i was like i am not and that was the end of it i would definitely go on a date with a porn star did you ask him what kind of porn he does he does like i did not know i didn't ask any further questions at that point my dating life i was like very much like i want to find my future partner like i'm not gonna mess around with anything that isn't gonna go forward so i moved on what are you married i am not no but i am in a relationship there there was a guy that we met at one of our

01:28:38 - 01:29:15 | Speaker 1:

gigs our remotes who is a porn star and i said to him i go what kind of you know like what kind of porn you do like what's like what are some of the themes of the porns you do and he started naming them and he goes through the whole thing and he goes and and sometimes gay porn and i go oh so are you you know bi and he's like no i just do it it's acting and i'm thinking to myself wow you don't fake wow by the way for those that don't know this the detroit area like the suburban detroit area in oakland county it's one of the biggest areas for porn uh filming they have there's dude we don't we used to have movie studios like for like there used to be one on maple road i

01:29:15 - 01:29:51 | Speaker 2:

remember going you told me and it's not there anymore but it's crazy what's up t initial t voice disguised yeah so um i had to be the guy for this time embarrassing so i ended up taking a blue tube with one of my friends and uh well crazy night and after let's call it like three days my stuff was still hurting so i ended up going to my doctors to see if he was going on with it. He literally told me he couldn't inspect it unless it was harmed.

01:29:52 - 01:29:57 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. So what did you do? What does this have to do with this conversation? The profession.

01:29:58 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 2:

The creepy doctors.

01:30:00 - 01:30:03 | Speaker 5:

Oh, creepy doctor. So what'd y'all do? Ah, we don't need to know.

01:30:03 - 01:30:05 | Speaker 3:

I got up and walk out.

01:30:05 - 01:30:14 | Speaker 5:

Okay. Come on. Yeah. I don't even know why that call was even put on there. What do you mean? It made no sense. He said a creepy profession. I understand, but we weren't even on creepy professions.

01:30:14 - 01:30:18 | Speaker 2:

Well, we weren't getting any calls, so. No, that's what, we had calls. I had enough calls.

01:30:18 - 01:30:20 | Speaker 5:

I didn't need any more calls on that one.

01:30:20 - 01:30:21 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. All right.

01:30:21 - 01:30:24 | Speaker 5:

I don't need the guy talking about his bone. I left. All right.

01:30:25 - 01:30:54 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:31:31 - 01:31:37 | Speaker 5:

Shannon, with what is trending in the Dirty on the 30, from all that excitement, we go to this excitement. What do you got?

01:31:37 - 01:32:21 | Speaker 1:

A little update on a story that we had talked about a couple of weeks ago. Federal prosecutors say eight men have now been indicted in that plot to attack last month's UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House. I said a couple of months. I meant a couple of weeks, by the way. But they said that this group began planning this attack back in May, stockpiling guns and ammo, explosive drones, body armor, medical supplies, and all sorts of communication equipment. And the alleged plan, do you remember we talked about this? They were going to fly drones with explosives on them into this UFC event on the White House lawn, then use snipers to shoot panicked people as they tried to escape this area.

01:32:22 - 01:32:22 | Speaker 5:

Wow.

01:32:24 - 01:32:44 | Speaker 1:

Prosecutors say the targets included the president, the vice president, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, excuse me, who was there, Elon Musk, and then a bunch of other government officials. If convicted, all eight suspects could face life in prison. Some drama coming out of the Real Housewives of Orange County. Are you still watching Housewives? Chelsea does.

01:32:44 - 01:32:47 | Speaker 5:

Yes, Chelsea watches it. Actually, we had a new one on last night.

01:32:48 - 01:33:15 | Speaker 1:

Well, Jen Pedrani is confirming that one of her sons was involved in starting one of those wildfires in Ladera Ranch, California. The brush fire burned about seven acres. Firefighters thankfully stopped it before it reached some homes nearby. Nobody was hurt. No buildings were damaged. But Jennifer said it wasn't just him. There were others involved. And she said even though it was an accident, or so she claimed, she and her ex-husband are taking it really seriously because...

01:33:15 - 01:33:18 | Speaker 5:

Is that the same fire that Spencer Pratt lost his place with?

01:33:18 - 01:33:27 | Speaker 1:

I don't think so. Yeah, I think that was Palisades. This is a different one. But her son was not arrested, but she said he will face some severe consequences from mom and dad.

01:33:27 - 01:33:36 | Speaker 5:

Crazy. Yeah. And by the way, the Real Housewives that everybody is talking about right now is Rhode Island. That's like the newest one. Oh, I haven't seen it. People are saying that's like one of the better casts that they've had in a while.

01:33:36 - 01:33:37 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I haven't seen that one either.

01:33:37 - 01:33:38 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Okay.

01:33:39 - 01:34:03 | Speaker 1:

And investigators are looking into the possibility that the Michigan woman who went missing in the Bahamas earlier this year, Lynette Hooker, may not have fallen overboard from a dinghy like her husband had claimed. Remember, 55-year-old Lynette was reported missing by her husband, Brian Hooker, back on April 5th. Still no body found.

01:34:03 - 01:34:31 | Speaker 4:

Tonight, it appears Coast Guard investigators are disputing Brian Hooker's account of how his wife, Lynette Hooker, disappeared. CBS News has learned family members of the missing Michigan mother have been told she made it back to the sailboat and they are looking into the possibility there was a physical altercation on board. her husband maintains back in april they were returning to the boat moored off of hopetown in the bahamas when she bounced off their dinghy we spoke to brian hooker shortly after his wife

01:34:31 - 01:34:39 | Speaker 2:

disappeared what was it like to sail together fantastic she we we're more like co-captains

01:34:39 - 01:34:44 | Speaker 4:

investigators have been analyzing evidence from the sailboat at an fbi facility in quantico after

01:34:44 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 3:

it was seized in may right now the boat's being seized investigators in my mind clearly have evidence that they're not giving yet to the public. The prosecutors will wait until they get every scrap of data analyzed to ensure they have an airtight case. Brian Hooker has not been

01:35:00 - 01:35:10 | Speaker 5:

with a crime and denies wrongdoing. Lynette Hooker's mother, Darlene Hamlet, previously told us she believes his story doesn't add up and claims her daughter tried to leave. She says,

01:35:10 - 01:35:28 | Speaker 7:

I can't take any more, mom. Get on a plane and come home. She says, I want my stuff. And I said, I want you. She bought a ticket, but she never came. The Coast Guard said that it could not

01:35:28 - 01:35:39 | Speaker 5:

comment on an ongoing investigation. Brian Hooker has retained a new attorney. We did reach out to him, but have not heard back about these new developments. That's a dateline.

01:35:40 - 01:35:51 | Speaker 9:

Oh my God. The whole thing, the whole story and then him going back. I don't know if I'd go back to the United States. I think he went back to the United States because he didn't want to get charged probably.

01:35:52 - 01:36:04 | Speaker 4:

There's a lot of fishy stuff going on there. If you missed anything from today, so go back, catch up on the podcast on the iHeartRadio app. Miss something in the dirty on the 30? Listen on our podcast now at mojointhemorning.com.

01:36:04 - 01:36:20 | Speaker 9:

Big win by Anna this morning in the throwback throwdown. Great job. That was a fun contest. Gabrielle is on with us right now from Oak Park. Hi, Gabrielle. Hi. Hi. Hi, Gabrielle.

01:40:08 - 01:40:10 | Speaker 2:

That's Deep Voice Guy. Yeah.

01:40:10 - 01:40:10 | Speaker 5:

No.

01:40:10 - 01:40:17 | Speaker 2:

Who did the slap part? Who did the slap? Yeah. I don't know. Let's listen to it again. Let's see if we can figure it out.

01:40:17 - 01:40:26 | Speaker 1:

We have Mojo in his ornery middle-aged man era. Shannon in her 80-year-old grandma who loves plants era. Anna in her dating era. And Kevin is slapping asses era.

01:40:27 - 01:40:27 | Unknown:

Stop it!

01:40:30 - 01:40:32 | Speaker 1:

This is Mojo in the morning. I don't know.

01:40:33 - 01:41:10 | Speaker 2:

Deepway's got branching out. I like it, though. All right, it's Mojo in the morning. I think I have to switch up what I'm drinking. I think I realized, and I am a big bourbon, no, alcohol. I am a big bourbon guy. Like, I love bourbon. I only started liking any kind of brown alcohol when COVID happened and we were all, like, on lockdown, and it became, like, a big deal, like bourbons and stuff like that but uh i'm now officially at this point where it wrecks me it never did this to me and i think it's because of the weight loss shot that i'm doing

01:41:10 - 01:41:17 | Speaker 4:

how so though it uh too drunk or it makes you sick the next day i have no i don't get hangovers

01:41:17 - 01:42:29 | Speaker 2:

i just get way too drunk off of one drink yeah and it's to a point where i can't just do one drink like i gotta have a couple of drinks because i i drink you know to be social and i'm social for periods of time yeah so it's usually a long period of time so i i've gotten to a point now where i'm contemplating like do i change my drink and i was talking to the official drinkologist of my life brian reef okay you know our good friend brian brian brian knows a lot about drinks so brian we'll go out sometimes and he's a huge bourbon guy too like he's got an amazing bourbon collection but he is like also good at going out to a place and he'll order you know some kind of a drink that i'm like what is that and it's tequila or something or he drinks a lot of gin so he had me drinking uh last week we golfed and he had me drinking because i told him this a tom collins which to me was like oh my god that's like my dad's drink do you ever have a tom collins but pops loves them he loves tom collins yeah what is that uh tom collins let's look it up here right now isn't it funny i'll know what you were drinking um it is uh gin so i did it was with

01:42:29 - 01:42:35 | Speaker 4:

gin the tom collins recipe i like gin i like din drinks i don't i feel like it tastes like pine

01:42:35 - 01:43:16 | Speaker 2:

needles really yeah tom collins consists of gin lemon juice simple syrup uh lemon seltzer or plain seltzer cocktail cherries a slice of lemon before serving it's like a french 75 that's my favorite drink right now it's and cherries it's delicious very refreshing the other thing that i am really into and i've been getting into this lately is and i'm not a seltzer kind of guy so i want you to know this i normally don't drink seltzers but there is one particular seltzer that i am obsessed with what is it it just tastes so good it goes down so good surf sides oh my

01:43:16 - 01:43:35 | Speaker 5:

stepson never had one your stepson i mean are they vodka tequila i didn't say that out loud i mean he tried a sip of one he liked it yeah those are good those are so good wait but they're not am i thinking of i know what surf sides are they're not um carbonated are they they're uh

01:43:35 - 01:43:37 | Speaker 2:

They're kind of, they're like... Zero bubbles, it says.

01:43:37 - 01:43:42 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, see, I hate that. It has to be super carbonated.

01:43:42 - 01:43:43 | Speaker 2:

If it's in a can like that.

01:43:43 - 01:43:45 | Speaker 4:

That fills me up too much. They do taste good, though.

01:43:45 - 01:43:55 | Speaker 2:

What's your flavor? They got a few of them. They're all lemonade-ish. How's the mango? I'm not a big mango guy. Okay. I don't like mango. I do like a pink lemonade-ish one.

01:43:56 - 01:43:57 | Speaker 5:

Don't they have iced tea versions?

01:43:57 - 01:43:58 | Speaker 2:

Iced tea, yeah.

01:43:58 - 01:44:02 | Speaker 3:

Their new flavors are blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, and mango. That's the new flavors.

01:44:02 - 01:44:04 | Speaker 4:

They have strawberry lemonade.

01:44:04 - 01:44:14 | Speaker 2:

That sounds good. That's a good one. Do you know what I don't like? There's one that is really overrated. Can we do a little seltzer update and ask people to tell us what seltzers they're drinking?

01:44:14 - 01:44:15 | Speaker 4:

White Claws are out.

01:44:15 - 01:44:15 | Speaker 2:

They are?

01:44:16 - 01:44:18 | Speaker 4:

I feel like people are getting away from them.

01:44:18 - 01:44:22 | Speaker 2:

White Claws back in the day were really good.

01:44:22 - 01:44:23 | Speaker 5:

But they were because they were the only one. Yeah.

01:44:24 - 01:44:34 | Speaker 2:

They were good. The one that I cannot get and I don't understand, and they only have it at the golf courses that I go to, and I don't know why, is high noons.

01:44:34 - 01:44:35 | Speaker 5:

You don't like High Noon?

01:44:35 - 01:44:47 | Speaker 2:

High Noon has no flavor to it at all. It's so untasty. Untasty. I might as well just get myself a LaCroix with a little bit of vodka. I think that's why people like them. Really?

01:44:47 - 01:44:49 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. People love LaCroix.

01:44:49 - 01:44:56 | Speaker 2:

But I don't like the idea of not having some taste to it. But I think that makes you drink them quicker. Really? I do.

01:44:56 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 3:

I feel like the last time I had some High Noons, I was with a...

01:45:00 - 01:45:12 | Speaker 4:

dr reynolds and i feel like to your point they really didn't have a taste but it made me smash them even quicker you know i mean like i went through a couple cans yeah yeah you well you

01:45:12 - 01:45:38 | Speaker 5:

drink them faster because you're hoping that the watermelon that the can says it has will come in there in a flavor um the other one that i kind of have have liked is mick ultra does one oh really If you haven't seen it, McUltra has a version of a seltzer, and it's actually pretty good. Plus, you look not like a seltzer drinker because people think you're drinking a McUltra, you know, because it's got the logo and everything on there.

01:45:40 - 01:45:42 | Speaker 7:

Oh, Ranch Waters?

01:45:42 - 01:45:45 | Speaker 5:

I love Ranch Waters. Do you? You're a tequila drinker, huh?

01:45:46 - 01:45:52 | Speaker 6:

Not really, but I like it in that. Like, I wouldn't ever just have a tequila on the rocks, never.

01:45:52 - 01:45:57 | Speaker 7:

It's the one that has, like, a super high alcohol percentage. It's Cutwaters?

01:45:57 - 01:45:59 | Speaker 4:

Cutwaters. Now we talking.

01:45:59 - 01:46:05 | Speaker 6:

Oh, the Espresso Martini and the White Russian Cutwaters are so good. I just know people get effed up.

01:46:05 - 01:46:12 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, for real. Hold on. Brandon's with us. Brandon, are you there? Yes, sir. What's going on? What's your favorite?

01:46:15 - 01:46:19 | Speaker 2:

A lot like yourself, I can't stand any of them, but the Sunny D Seltzers.

01:46:20 - 01:46:26 | Speaker 6:

Oh, God. Sonny D makes a seltzer? I don't even like Sonny D. I couldn't do that. I love Sonny D. Is it?

01:46:26 - 01:46:30 | Speaker 2:

They're so good. They're so good. And also, first time long. Hey!

01:46:31 - 01:46:31 | Speaker 7:

Welcome!

01:46:32 - 01:46:39 | Speaker 4:

Could you imagine if you're a soccer parent and you mix up the Sonny D's? Wait, they do? That's...

01:46:39 - 01:46:42 | Speaker 7:

I love that. There you go. Thanks for putting me on.

01:46:42 - 01:46:48 | Speaker 5:

Do kids still drink Sonny D's? Or is that just something we grew up with?

01:46:48 - 01:46:48 | Speaker 7:

My nephews do.

01:46:48 - 01:47:07 | Speaker 5:

They do. do that sunny dia classic hopefully not the seltzers um here are some other ones too truly that neutral i've had some of them they have a good pr campaign because they're in a lot of places yeah not a huge fan of neutral unless they do advertise and then i will become a fan

01:47:07 - 01:47:19 | Speaker 6:

um and uh oh you know who has one alani did you know alani has a hard seltzer no that's like a heart attack in a can.

01:47:19 - 01:47:24 | Speaker 7:

Alani's like a healthy energy drink. Hold on one second

01:47:24 - 01:47:28 | Speaker 5:

here. Katie is with us. This is the other one I was going to say. I'm going to let you say it. Katie, what's your favorite?

01:47:30 - 01:47:39 | Speaker 1:

My favorite, I'm obsessed with the Good Boys lately. I feel like not a lot of people know about them, but the Paradise Pack, the Dragon Fruit Peach, like so smooth.

01:47:39 - 01:47:45 | Speaker 5:

I'm obsessed. So isn't Good Boys owned by that golfer? What's his name?

01:47:46 - 01:47:53 | Speaker 1:

John Daly. yeah and it helps dogs and i'm like a huge dog lover so i'm like let's get buzzed and help dogs

01:47:53 - 01:48:39 | Speaker 5:

john daly you gotta trust because he's a partier man that guy he's that guy happy gilmore right he's big the big fat dude yeah with the mullet um hold on i'm gonna bring somebody on the phone with us the official vat or the fish he called me uh the day before yesterday and i called him back and uh and i said what's up louie and louie goes you don't love me anymore you don't call me anymore or you don't talk about me anymore. And I said, you know what? I got to get Louie on the phone. Louie Yeldo from the Brass Mug is on the phone with us. What's up, Louie? Good morning. You feeling better, buddy? You were not feeling good yesterday. I'm a lot better. Yeah, this guy, by the way, he takes no medicine at all. You know what he does? He just drinks vodka, bourbon, whiskey.

01:48:40 - 01:48:43 | Speaker 3:

I had too many seltzers. Too many seltzers.

01:48:43 - 01:49:18 | Speaker 5:

So I think we talked to you before about the seltzers. At the Brass Mug, he's got like a walk-in fridge of seltzers. What are your top three sellers right now at the Brass Mug? We're counting it down like Ryan Seacrest on the weekends. Good Boys. Number three. Number two? Surfside. Surfside. Surfside. There's yours. And the number one seltzer. Tell me it's not the High Noons. It's high noon.

01:49:18 - 01:49:19 | Speaker 2:

High noon!

01:49:21 - 01:49:22 | Speaker 5:

Oh, man.

01:49:22 - 01:49:25 | Speaker 6:

Have you tried the high noon tequila? Do you like that one better?

01:49:25 - 01:49:36 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, they do. Yeah, they do have tequila. I'm not a tequila. Louis and my wife have tried to get me into tequila. I can't do tequila. Tequila is too manly for me, Louis. Tequila, yeah.

01:49:36 - 01:49:40 | Speaker 3:

Brother, it's good for you. She was tacos with the best. Tacos.

01:49:41 - 01:49:45 | Speaker 4:

Louis, would you consider cut water a seltzer, or that's a different category?

01:49:47 - 01:49:58 | Speaker 3:

Uh, no, it's different. It's like a TV, like a, um, it's like a gin, vodka, but that's not, it's not like salsa though.

01:49:58 - 01:49:58 | Unknown:

Okay.

01:49:59 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 6:

It's like a specialty.

01:50:00 - 01:50:01 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, them boys get you laid.

01:50:02 - 01:50:08 | Speaker 8:

Cutty buddies, get you two of them, you're ready to go. Can I ask about the Cutwaters, what are the flavors that are the good ones?

01:50:08 - 01:50:13 | Speaker 4:

They got a mango I bang with, and they got a lime I bang with. Them the only two I really tried, though.

01:50:13 - 01:50:18 | Speaker 8:

So mango and lime Cutwaters. I like those a lot. What are some?

01:50:18 - 01:50:19 | Speaker 4:

She said espresso martini.

01:50:19 - 01:50:23 | Speaker 5:

And white Russian. Those are more wintry, fall. Well, not espresso martini, but the white Russian for sure.

01:50:23 - 01:50:27 | Speaker 7:

They have a banana mudslide right there. Oh.

01:50:27 - 01:50:28 | Speaker 1:

Banana mudslide.

01:50:28 - 01:50:29 | Speaker 8:

Banana mudslide.

01:50:29 - 01:50:30 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Yum.

01:50:31 - 01:50:41 | Speaker 8:

Louie, espresso martinis are still so hot, right? Everybody loves going to a bar and at the end of their meal having an espresso martini as their after-dinner drink, right? Or is that just still?

01:50:41 - 01:50:46 | Speaker 1:

My issue is I don't want to be up all night. Really? If I'm going to be out until 3 a.m., sure, but.

01:50:46 - 01:50:48 | Speaker 7:

I don't know. Well, that liquor puts you down, though.

01:50:48 - 01:50:50 | Unknown:

Yeah. That's completely sweet.

01:50:50 - 01:50:54 | Speaker 8:

Hold on a second. Alec's got one that we should try. What's that called, Alec?

01:50:56 - 01:51:01 | Speaker 7:

The Popsicle Seltzer. I think they just came out in Michigan. Oh, I did.

01:51:01 - 01:51:02 | Speaker 5:

I saw that somewhere.

01:51:03 - 01:51:04 | Speaker 8:

Do you have that at Brass Mug, Louie?

01:51:05 - 01:51:09 | Speaker 7:

Yes. You know who came out with one is Powerade and Gatorade.

01:51:09 - 01:51:09 | Speaker 8:

Really?

01:51:10 - 01:51:11 | Speaker 7:

Everybody's getting into it.

01:51:11 - 01:51:12 | Speaker 8:

It's unbelievable.

01:51:12 - 01:51:16 | Speaker 7:

Powerade got one and Gatorade have one, and they're sound like crazy.

01:51:16 - 01:51:28 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. The Popsicle ones are the red, grape, orange, Popsicle flavors, like from Popsicle brand. I saw like a Bomb Pop flavored one. Really? I don't know what brand it was.

01:51:29 - 01:51:33 | Speaker 8:

Alec, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. I'm changing up my alcohol that I drink. What's going on?

01:51:34 - 01:51:46 | Speaker 3:

Whoa. Hi. What's going on? So I am a bartender at Prime 7 in Commerce Township. I'm the manager. Okay. And we, Sun Cruisers, are probably my biggest seller right now. Sun Cruisers?

01:51:46 - 01:51:46 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

01:51:48 - 01:51:55 | Speaker 3:

It's like an iced tea lemonade. It's kind of like an Arnold Palmer. It's really good with vodka. I didn't know half of these exist.

01:51:55 - 01:52:01 | Speaker 8:

Do you like that people do this as a bartender? because you don't have to do any mixing? All you got to do is just open up the can?

01:52:02 - 01:52:09 | Speaker 3:

I still like making my mixed drinks. I like making them, but it's easy when it's busy, that's for sure.

01:52:09 - 01:52:18 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, I think that this is tough for bartenders because I bet you people don't tip as well when they're not getting a drink made for them, right?

01:52:19 - 01:52:27 | Speaker 3:

So Prime is like a good local bar, so I have a lot of my regulars that still take care of me no matter what. You guys should come check it out.

01:52:27 - 01:52:37 | Speaker 8:

We'll have to come over and see you. Hold on a second. Mayana is on with us. Please say hello to Louie Yeldo from the Brass Mug in Livonia.

01:52:39 - 01:52:40 | Speaker 7:

Hi, how are you?

01:52:40 - 01:52:43 | Speaker 2:

I'm good. Also, first time, long time. Hey.

01:52:46 - 01:52:47 | Speaker 4:

Mayana on the phone.

01:52:48 - 01:52:49 | Speaker 7:

Welcome to the show.

01:52:50 - 01:53:26 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. Don't hate me. I hate Cutwaters. they are gross to me and they don't do anything i get zero effects on cut waters i don't know maybe i'm just maybe i have iron liver but um i don't know if you've heard of two chick seltzers they're really really really good but they're hard to find they have an elderflower like pear and vodka one and then i love the orange ginger and whiskey one because i love old fashions I'm always looking for two-chick seltzer.

01:53:26 - 01:53:27 | Speaker 4:

Mojo, you need it.

01:53:27 - 01:53:28 | Speaker 2:

And neutral, which you already said.

01:53:28 - 01:53:30 | Speaker 4:

They got a Paloma. Did you try the Paloma?

01:53:31 - 01:53:45 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I did. I've tried all of them, and they have a variety pack. I don't like the limoncello one. It's too much lemon for me. Yeah, no, those are good. I do see them sometimes at Meijer, but I can't find them anywhere else. I'm always on the hunt.

01:53:45 - 01:53:46 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

01:53:46 - 01:54:15 | Speaker 8:

That's crazy, though, that I like Louie's, like, shouting out, come to Brass Mug. We got you here. And by the way, Louie never lets you leave without something that you didn't pay for, too. Like, it's crazy. Like, out of the blue, all of a sudden, you're walking out of there with, it could be anything from another, you know, great item. Thank you. Or it could be food from the, what's the Middle Eastern restaurant next door to you, Louie? The Green Theater. It's so good. The best hummus ever. It's really good. What's up, Derek? How you doing?

01:54:16 - 01:54:52 | Speaker 6:

Hey, I wanted to give you a little backstory on the good boys. So it was a younger guy that started it as a vodka company. He was, I think he was under 30. He's from Southwest Michigan, actually. Wow. Like South Haven area. Yeah. And it started as a vodka company. And the slogan was, every poor helps a pup. It was for canine charities. And then it morphed into the seltzers and John Daly. He's a huge endorser. But I have a bunch of friends in West Michigan around the Grand Rapids area that were early investors.

01:54:53 - 01:54:58 | Speaker 1:

And I love that. His name is Alex Pratt. Wow.

01:54:58 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 4:

That's his name. That's why.

01:55:00 - 01:55:22 | Speaker 2:

Alex Pratt, yep, that's it, Alex Pratt. And he's got the smartest person with him doing it, too, you know. So that's good. Oh, yeah, huge ambassadors. Real quick, I've got to end this topic right now. Louie, do I look a little wimpy, though, going from being a bourbon drinker to now all of a sudden sucking on a sunny side?

01:55:23 - 01:55:35 | Speaker 3:

Surf side. No, they're refreshing. Sometimes they're good, they're refreshing, especially if you're on a golf course and you're golfing, you're on a pool. They're good.

01:55:35 - 01:55:42 | Speaker 2:

A true salesman right there. By the way, he would never, although I gotta tell you, he won't let me go to the casino with him if I'm having one of those, right?

01:55:44 - 01:55:45 | Speaker 3:

Not in the casino.

01:55:47 - 01:55:50 | Speaker 2:

All right, I'll talk to you later, buddy. Feel better, okay?

01:55:50 - 01:55:53 | Speaker 3:

I'll see you better. See you guys. All right, bye. Love you, buddy.

01:55:55 - 01:55:56 | Speaker 2:

I screwed up big time.

01:55:57 - 01:56:12 | Speaker 1:

I got to make a phone call here right now.

01:56:12 - 01:57:00 | Speaker 2:

I screwed up, Kevin, like in a big way. And you're going to not be happy with me because it's one of your best buddies in the world. Hold on a second here. So, I don't know when it was. Maybe mid-June, I was in studio here in our big Mojo in the Morning studio that we have. Hold on a second here. Let me backspace. Backspace. I'm trying to dial. This is how you dial the phone, Shannon. I don't know if you know this. Well, I've never had to dial up here. It's crazy. So we were in studio here, and we were promoting the official theme song singer of the Mojo on the morning show, PL officials' involvement with the Rocket Classic.

01:57:01 - 01:57:01 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:57:02 - 01:57:40 | Speaker 2:

And he invited me to go golfing with him. Here, pick up the phone. PL? PL? Hello? Hey, what's up, Mojo? It's Mojo. Hey. So, PL and I were talking and we're like, we're going to go golfing. A couple of minutes ago, I got a text message from him and he said, I'll see you at 10 o'clock. and I looked at the text message. I'm going, what am I doing? Is he coming in studio? I actually asked you, didn't I? I said, and I said, I said, what are we doing at 10 o'clock? And he goes, you booked a tee time for us. You and I are golfing at 10 o'clock.

01:57:40 - 01:57:58 | Speaker 4:

For real, on Friday? Well, you look ready to golf. Can I say this? This is how much of a friend you are. You'd rather call me on the radio than tell me to cancel. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, here is the, here is the deal.

01:57:58 - 01:58:20 | Speaker 2:

I screwed, I screwed up big time because what I did is I said to PL, I go, all right, PL, here's what we're going to do. We'll golf. And we gave a date. And today's was the date I gave him. The problem of what I did was I didn't say 10 o'clock. I actually just looked on the T sheet and there's two spots open at 11, 12. What about an 11, 12 PL?

01:58:20 - 01:58:22 | Speaker 4:

11 noon or 11, 12?

01:58:22 - 01:58:22 | Speaker 2:

11, 12.

01:58:23 - 01:58:32 | Speaker 4:

I can't do that, Mojo. Only 10. Come on. It's only an hour. It's only an hour. Jeez. No, that's good. I'll see you there. That's cool. That's cool, man.

01:58:32 - 01:59:11 | Speaker 2:

I cannot believe I just did this. So let me tell you, I have done this now a couple of times where I have told somebody, you know, and it's like a month or two in advance. I'll say, yeah, let's do it on this date. Hold on. And I go try to put it in my phone. And I'm not one of those people that does like Microsoft. What are they called? Lydia the calendar is it outlook calendar is that what you call it yeah like I don't do that thing I manually put it in so I'll go into my iPhone and I'll hit the plus button right at the top and I'll do it and oh my god I just I screwed up I cannot believe I did that to you all good

01:59:11 - 01:59:17 | Speaker 4:

Mojo I got grace for you because you my friend and you busy just like me and I understand man

01:59:17 - 01:59:56 | Speaker 2:

but I'm telling Chelsea for real oh my god well I'm gonna have to tell Chelsea too because I'm going to tell chelsea that she and i can't uh golf today but i'm golfing with pl official the guy i think you got that knee back up to par i saw on his social media he shot a was it a 70 or what did you shoot at beacon hill the other day oh 79 it could have been a 78 but i missed the birdie do you know how good that is i don't like what what is what is power on that course a 72 72 yeah the guy so basically he's only six basically he parred almost every single

01:59:56 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 4:

hole he peel everywhere else when he get on that course you're dealing with

02:00:00 - 02:00:00 | Speaker 2:

Terry Woods.

02:00:01 - 02:00:06 | Speaker 1:

Terry Woods. It's a different beast out there. It's a different beast out there.

02:00:06 - 02:00:12 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, what do I call you now? Do I call you Terry Woods? Do I call you the legal full name, or what is going on?

02:00:12 - 02:00:21 | Speaker 1:

That's not his name. You know what you can call me, Mojo? Wait, what's his name? Call me on time. Call me on time. Wait. No.

02:00:23 - 02:00:27 | Speaker 2:

Is Terry Woods like a character name, or what is it? Explain. Give it to him.

02:00:27 - 02:00:33 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's what a lot of people call me on the course. I got good fast, so I guess it's just over.

02:00:33 - 02:00:41 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Terry Woods. I don't even know what your real legitimate name is. What is your real legitimate name? Because I've got to tell them on the T-sheet. What your name is?

02:00:42 - 02:00:42 | Speaker 1:

Terry Fox.

02:00:43 - 02:00:46 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so it's Terry Fox, but you call each other Terry Woods.

02:00:47 - 02:00:49 | Speaker 1:

Yes, sir. Yes, sir. All right.

02:00:49 - 02:00:55 | Speaker 2:

Are you going to wear all your Rocket Mortgage or your Rocket Classic stuff, your gear?

02:00:55 - 02:01:01 | Speaker 1:

oh i i don't have any of that on today mojo it's just me today all right what are you wearing

02:01:01 - 02:01:06 | Speaker 2:

02:01:23 - 02:01:31 | Speaker 2:

So our show ends at 10.30, and I will bust out of here as soon as I'll be there pretty much. I'll be coming in hot, okay?

02:01:31 - 02:02:04 | Speaker 1:

No rush. No rush, man. I'll be there. All right. Go crazy today. Give it up for him. Give it up for him. Give it up for him. Hey, Mojo in the morning. SNS Kiss 955. Oh, you know what time it is. SPL is official. You ready? Come on. You waking up with Mojo. These other morning shows are no-go. They love us like the iHeart logo. We got five at 6.55. If you were looking for Modo, water, roses, catch them creeping on the low, low. Weekdays, Friday, 1030, it goes down. Hey, who you picking for the throwback throwdown? Dirty on the 30 for the news on your timeline. Only on Kiss, SNX, and 955. So good.

02:02:06 - 02:02:09 | Speaker 3:

I still love that. I still love it. I want another one.

02:02:10 - 02:02:11 | Speaker 2:

We should get another one.

02:02:11 - 02:02:13 | Speaker 3:

I really want you to do a dirty intro one for me, Piel.

02:02:14 - 02:02:18 | Speaker 2:

So here's the problem, though. He's so busy with this Rocket Classic. It might have to be until after the Rocket Classic.

02:02:18 - 02:02:21 | Speaker 3:

I mean, he could have had an hour today to work on something.

02:02:23 - 02:02:47 | Speaker 2:

He's got a mobile studio? I want to see him with a live band. Can you imagine a live band doing that? Do you think he would do that if we did a live show? Like a Jingle Ball. Would he do that at Jingle Ball? He always said Jingle Ball Live. Jingle Ball with a band? Yes. Oh, my God. That would be amazing. Book it. Did you just say F it or book it? Book it. Book it. I was going to say F it. Book it. Oh, my God. Book it. Book it. That would be amazing.

02:02:47 - 02:02:47 | Speaker 1:

Bow.

02:02:48 - 02:02:58 | Speaker 2:

All right. It's Mojo on the morning show. Shannon is going to bring something up here right now that I wonder if any other people can relate to. And it involves your friendships. What's going on?

02:02:58 - 02:04:42 | Speaker 3:

I feel like I am in a lopsided friendship. And what I mean by that is I tonight I'm going to have dinner. Wes and I are going to have dinner with our favorite friends, Justin and Dr. Matt. You've heard me talk about them before. They're the ones that threw a party for their stairs. yes when their stairs got done I love them so dinner is tonight Justin is a chef so the food is always beyond incredible Matt is the host of hosts he's always making sure that the decor is on point and like are your feet cold I can get you a pair of slippers like they're just they're just the best and I always feel so lucky and so very spoiled when we go over to their house well I told Wes last night as we were kind of going through our weekend I'm like I feel like this friendship is kind of lopsided because we have never I think ever ever had them over to our house not even for drinks or apps and part of it is I think I'm self-conscious because I don't cook at all really I mean I can make basics but I would be so nervous to cook for Justin a chef like a great chef but like we've never had them over and so I'm like it's always them having us They always want to invite us over, which is so awesome, but I'm feeling kind of bad. And I'll always bring something like, you know, this Mojo, I'll always bring wine or champagne. They love champagne. I always bring champagne when we go, but I'm like, that still doesn't feel equal to me. Not that it has to, no, but this has been years of this and they especially love Wes. So like I've known, I've known Justin for God since before my kids were born. So I've known him for a long time. But now that, like, I'm married to Wes and they love Wes, Wes and I have gone over to their house like a dozen times. But we've never had them over to ours.

02:04:43 - 02:04:47 | Speaker 2:

Do you think they look at you guys as leeches?

02:04:48 - 02:04:54 | Speaker 3:

Well, they're the one always inviting. Because I think, I don't, I wonder if Justin's listening.

02:04:54 - 02:05:00 | Speaker 2:

Do you think Justin and Matt ever sit there on the couch on a Saturday night, they had no plans, and go, be nice.

02:05:00 - 02:05:02 | Speaker 3:

if Wes and Shannon invited us over tonight.

02:05:02 - 02:05:07 | Speaker 1:

I have to invite them over at some point. And you're doing carry-out.

02:05:07 - 02:05:08 | Speaker 3:

Do any listeners...

02:05:08 - 02:05:14 | Speaker 1:

I guess we could do carry-out, and they probably wouldn't care. It's more me getting anxiety over it.

02:05:14 - 02:05:22 | Speaker 3:

Do any listeners have this lopsided friendships where they're always doing the entertaining and their friends are always the takers?

02:05:23 - 02:05:23 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:05:23 - 02:05:24 | Speaker 3:

You're the givers.

02:05:24 - 02:05:34 | Speaker 4:

I never host people in my spot. Unless it's like just J.G. and Jontae. Yeah, pretty much a taker. J.G. Pride. Well, I feel like there are certain roles within your friend group.

02:05:34 - 02:05:34 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:05:34 - 02:05:43 | Speaker 4:

Like you have friends who are the hosters and they throw the party. I played a role of, you know, bringing energy in the playlist. That's where I fit in. You know what I mean?

02:05:43 - 02:05:45 | Speaker 3:

Do they need the energy in the playlist?

02:05:45 - 02:06:00 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely. It all works together. Yeah. It all works together. You're the energy. Jonte got the weed. J.G. got the spot. And he might do the food. Everybody pretty much bring a bottle. I'm bringing the vibes and the aux. They buy you drive. Kind of like that.

02:06:00 - 02:06:05 | Speaker 3:

Can I tell you what is anxiety-filled? Oh, we're going to dial. Will they answer the phone?

02:06:05 - 02:06:06 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, Justin, we can call.

02:06:06 - 02:06:09 | Speaker 3:

All right, again, I'm an awkward phone dialer. So just so you know that.

02:06:10 - 02:06:11 | Speaker 1:

You don't have to call him. I'm just saying he's listening.

02:06:11 - 02:06:21 | Speaker 3:

No, I would love to. I do want to have them on, and I'm going to tell you the biggest reason I want to have them on. Because I want to discuss, Lydia, you're trying to dial somebody's line?

02:06:22 - 02:06:23 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I was just calling a texter, sorry.

02:06:23 - 02:06:31 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay, no. For some reason, though, in the phone system here, if I pick a line to dial on, and Lydia chooses it in the other room, it overrides me.

02:06:32 - 02:06:34 | Speaker 4:

She got that producer part.

02:06:34 - 02:06:42 | Speaker 3:

I have a reason to bring this up. He's already in our system. I like it. Justin's already in. Shannon's friend, Justin.

02:06:42 - 02:06:42 | Speaker 2:

Hello.

02:06:43 - 02:06:44 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Justin. How are you?

02:06:46 - 02:06:46 | Speaker 2:

Hi, how's it going?

02:06:47 - 02:06:53 | Speaker 3:

Good. I was wondering what your plans are this weekend. Shannon and Wes are coming over.

02:06:55 - 02:06:56 | Speaker 4:

What are we cooking?

02:06:56 - 02:07:02 | Speaker 3:

Justin, do you feel like this is an unfair friendship, like an unbalanced, lopsided friendship?

02:07:03 - 02:07:07 | Speaker 1:

That you always have us over, and you cook these beautiful meals, but we've never had you over.

02:07:09 - 02:07:14 | Speaker 2:

No, we love entertaining, so. You know what the toughest?

02:07:14 - 02:07:16 | Speaker 1:

And he would also not want to eat my food.

02:07:19 - 02:07:19 | Speaker 2:

I don't know.

02:07:20 - 02:07:25 | Speaker 3:

I wouldn't mind. In all fairness, this is what the man does, too, right? Isn't it?

02:07:25 - 02:07:29 | Speaker 1:

He is an incredible chef. An amazing chef.

02:07:29 - 02:07:32 | Speaker 3:

Justin, can I tell you? Yeah, go ahead.

02:07:33 - 02:07:35 | Speaker 2:

We have a good menu plan for tonight.

02:07:35 - 02:07:36 | Speaker 3:

What is the plan?

02:07:37 - 02:07:49 | Speaker 2:

We're going to have lamb chops. We've got grilled sausage and then some polenta. What is polenta? It's like grits. Fancy grits.

02:07:49 - 02:08:39 | Speaker 3:

It looks like you're eating... Um, you know, it's, it's, I always feel like when I, when I see the polenta there, I get all excited and I'm like, it's mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, it's not mashed potatoes. Uh, can I, Justin, can I bring something up that I think that there's a struggle in most people's relationships and there's a commonality to this? Having gay friends is tough. Why? Because gay friends are very giving. They are very talented, and they do things over the top. And unfortunately, the heterosexuals don't necessarily do a very good job of that. I just want you to know. Oh, Jesus Christ. And so there becomes a little bit of a problem with this. It's anxiety-filled if you have friends that are gay.

02:08:39 - 02:08:58 | Speaker 1:

Even Justin is so good about dropping off. Like, he'll make, he does homemade candies and homemade, like, pastries and breads. And he'll be like, are you home? Knock, knock. I'm coming by to drop off some stuff. Wow. And how many times do I even invite you in? Sometimes I'm like, oh, my God, the house is a mess. The dogs are all over. The kids are all over. So I just talk to him on my front porch.

02:08:59 - 02:08:59 | Speaker 2:

Yep.

02:09:00 - 02:09:10 | Speaker 3:

That is so funny. So I never think, by the way, if I'm having a party of flowers. But gay men and gay women think of flowers. Perfect.

02:09:10 - 02:09:14 | Speaker 1:

Like actual arrangements and candles and...

02:09:14 - 02:09:17 | Speaker 4:

Flowers do add something different to the house. Yeah.

02:09:17 - 02:09:20 | Speaker 3:

You need to have a party and show us. Nah, I don't.

02:09:21 - 02:09:23 | Speaker 4:

Anna might come over tomorrow, though, before our event.

02:09:23 - 02:09:24 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really?

02:09:24 - 02:09:27 | Speaker 2:

I'll bring flowers. All right, for sure. Just the two of you guys?

02:09:27 - 02:09:29 | Speaker 4:

Just make sure that your girl cleans before I come over.

02:09:29 - 02:09:37 | Speaker 3:

Only the two of us have the event. You guys, they're doing an event together tomorrow, Justin, to lend itself more to the fact that they're effing.

02:09:37 - 02:09:47 | Speaker 4:

Well, we didn't book ourselves. Where are you guys at tomorrow? We're going to be at Greektown. They're opening up. Yeah, Hollywood Greektown Casino. They're opening up, and we'll be out there having a good time.

02:09:47 - 02:09:51 | Speaker 3:

And you're going to meet beforehand for what? To, like, prep your night? To carpool.

02:09:52 - 02:09:52 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:09:52 - 02:09:52 | Speaker 3:

To carpool.

02:09:53 - 02:09:56 | Speaker 4:

You live closer to Greektown than he does. Saving gas.

02:09:57 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. This is, by the way.

02:10:00 - 02:10:13 | Speaker 1:

I would like a war of the roses to see where we'll send a dozen free roses here. Hold on a second, Justin. We've got some listeners here that want to comment on Shannon being a bad friend to you, you and Matt. What's up, Andrea? How are you doing?

02:10:14 - 02:10:15 | Speaker 5:

Good. How are you?

02:10:15 - 02:10:16 | Speaker 1:

Good. What's going on?

02:10:17 - 02:10:36 | Speaker 5:

Good. I don't agree that it's a gay friend thing versus a heterosexual person thing. I think some people just love to serve, and it's like their favorite thing to do. I love hosting people and having them over, and they never think, oh, my friends suck because they don't do the same. Some just like to do it.

02:10:36 - 02:10:41 | Speaker 1:

So you never judge them on the fact that they're mooching off of you?

02:10:42 - 02:10:52 | Speaker 5:

No, no, because it's my favorite thing to do. I have people over, serve them food and drink, and I love to cook, and some people don't. I love friends like that.

02:10:52 - 02:11:01 | Speaker 1:

I'd be honest with you, though. I would bet, though, a majority of people would have it in the back of their mind of, are they ever going to invite us out? You know what I mean?

02:11:01 - 02:11:04 | Speaker 3:

We go out. Yeah. Like, we'll go out to dinner a lot.

02:11:04 - 02:11:05 | Speaker 1:

Who pays when you go out?

02:11:05 - 02:11:08 | Speaker 3:

I don't know, Justin. Who pays? Do we split it? Or we go back and forth?

02:11:09 - 02:11:13 | Speaker 7:

I think Wes usually kind of, you know, sneaks it. Yeah. I love Wes.

02:11:13 - 02:11:14 | Speaker 1:

Because that's a good way to give back.

02:11:14 - 02:11:15 | Speaker 6:

Which that makes me feel better. Yeah.

02:11:15 - 02:11:18 | Speaker 1:

Like, that's a really good way to give back. What's going on, Carrie? How you doing?

02:11:19 - 02:11:30 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. I'm doing great. I just wanted to say to Shannon, the easiest solution is just to have a pizza night and invite them over. Pizza is great for everyone. Easy peasy.

02:11:31 - 02:11:36 | Speaker 3:

Like you just heard what this man is making, lamb chops. And I'm going to be like, we're having a hungry house.

02:11:37 - 02:11:43 | Speaker 6:

We like pizza. We like pizza, too. You're having a pizza night. Find a nice place with something different.

02:11:43 - 02:11:52 | Speaker 7:

Just make sure you install the brick oven first. wait shannon shannon that was one of our options tonight we were going to make pizza because we

02:11:52 - 02:12:00 | Speaker 1:

have one of those uni ovens of course hey by the way justin chelsea and i are great people to be

02:12:00 - 02:12:08 | Speaker 7:

friends you know that and they're free tonight and and we we might have some people over on

02:12:08 - 02:12:14 | Speaker 1:

saturday night if you guys would like to join us but uh maybe cancel on on your prior plans what's

02:12:14 - 02:12:47 | Speaker 4:

up hana hi good morning everyone morning i wanted to call because i'm also the hosting friend and when i host like i've smoked a brisket before i've made like a brave ragu i like do focaccia i make everything from scratch and i do it for two reasons one because like i'm latina we spread love and community through food in the second one i love curating how i get my compliments so it's like i don't know it's like a dopamine hit whenever someone says my food is so good so that's why i I love sharing the vibes in the community. I think it's awesome.

02:12:48 - 02:12:53 | Speaker 1:

Honestly, that sounds wonderful. What are you doing tonight? Cooking.

02:12:54 - 02:12:54 | Speaker 6:

Okay.

02:12:55 - 02:13:14 | Speaker 1:

We'll be right over. We'll be over at 7 o'clock. I like friends also that invite you over at an earlier hour. That's the other bad thing with having friends who are gay. They like to entertain at 8 o'clock at night. This man is in a coma at 8 o'clock at night. What time are they inviting you over at?

02:13:14 - 02:13:15 | Speaker 3:

What time is it, 7?

02:13:16 - 02:13:20 | Speaker 7:

7, yeah, but we normally eat at like 8.39. Oh, Christ.

02:13:20 - 02:13:32 | Speaker 1:

What are you, a Chaldean wedding? This is crazy. That's unbelievable. You know that she's not going to be able to digest that food the next day. It's going to be bad. You're going to go to bed with a full stomach.

02:13:32 - 02:13:35 | Speaker 7:

That's okay. She's going to be able to full stomach.

02:13:36 - 02:13:37 | Speaker 1:

Avi, what's going on, Avi?

02:13:38 - 02:13:39 | Speaker 7:

Hey, what's up?

02:13:39 - 02:13:42 | Speaker 1:

Hi, buddy. Say hi to Justin, Shannon's friend, Justin.

02:13:43 - 02:14:03 | Speaker 7:

Hey, Justin. What's up? So I'm literally always the one making plans for our group chat. Like, I'm the only one messaging. They're like, hey, what are you guys doing this weekend? Let's do something. Let's do something before July. Always. Nobody ever messaged. And then when we plan, it's either it happens or it don't.

02:14:03 - 02:14:10 | Speaker 2:

you have to do a little experiment and see and just go silent and not plan anything for a couple

02:14:10 - 02:14:28 | Speaker 7:

of weeks we all have so for fourth of july we had something planned we were all going camping and then we had everything planned had the budget everything planned out and then everybody went so i was like okay i'll go silent i went silent and me and my family we went out to do something

02:14:28 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 1:

ourself okay you know what that is uh it's tough in in a couple's friendship like this it seems like it's easier but if you are the friend group and you have that then it comes across like nobody's participating so um hey uh justin real quick i'm gonna and we'll let you go because i know that uh we've taken a ton of your time if shannon shows up with cotton candy grapes tonight she she got the idea from somebody else on the show okay yeah

02:15:00 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

02:15:00 - 02:15:03 | Speaker 7:

It'll be your appetizers. Great way to start the meal.

02:15:03 - 02:15:04 | Speaker 6:

Or dessert. Yeah.

02:15:04 - 02:15:08 | Speaker 7:

Nothing says, like, lamb chops and cotton candy grapes.

02:15:10 - 02:15:15 | Speaker 8:

Will you guys also take a picture of their staircase? Because I know we talked about Justin and Matt's staircase.

02:15:16 - 02:15:16 | Speaker 5:

I will.

02:15:16 - 02:15:17 | Speaker 8:

Take a picture of all you guys.

02:15:17 - 02:15:19 | Speaker 5:

We'll do a family photo on it, all four of us.

02:15:19 - 02:15:26 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, please. All right. We'll have dinner on the staircase. And I would like a picture for the gram of your lamb chops, okay?

02:15:26 - 02:15:27 | Speaker 5:

Deal.

02:15:28 - 02:15:35 | Speaker 8:

We'll talk to you later. See you, Justin. Bye, Justin. Take care. Bye, guys. Have a good night. Back with Morgan Wallen. Tickets next.

Before we had AT&T business wireless coverage, our delivery GPS wasn't the most reliable. Once, our driver had to do a 14-point turn to get back on route. A 14-point turn. An influencer even live-streamed the whole thing. Not good for business. Now with AT&T Business Wireless, routes are updating on the fly and deliveries are on time. And the influencer did get us 53 new followers, though. AT&T Business Wireless. Connecting changes everything.

02:16:13 - 02:16:32 | Speaker 6:

We love our mojo.

02:17:48 - 02:17:49 | Speaker 4:

Back to mojo in the morning.

02:17:50 - 02:17:53 | Speaker 8:

We're going to smoke some cigars before the end of the show.

02:17:53 - 02:17:55 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, Wild Bills, baby.

02:17:55 - 02:17:58 | Speaker 8:

Wild Bills joining us today. They got a big event going on this weekend.

02:17:59 - 02:18:03 | Speaker 7:

Yes, sir. From 5 to 9 in their Sterling Heights location. It's going to be incredible. You going to be there?

02:18:03 - 02:18:06 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, I think I'm going to pull up. We're inviting you to join.

02:18:06 - 02:18:07 | Speaker 7:

Shelby Township location.

02:18:07 - 02:18:17 | Speaker 8:

Saturday night, Shelby Township. Tonight. Or Friday. Tonight. Friday night. Okay, tonight. Yeah, 5 to 9. Tonight. And then tomorrow, you're going to be at the Greektown Hollywood Casino.

02:18:17 - 02:18:21 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, the new Monroe Street, I want to say grand opening.

02:18:21 - 02:18:23 | Speaker 8:

Did they finish the street and everything?

02:18:23 - 02:18:25 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it looked so good. I was just there.

02:18:25 - 02:18:27 | Speaker 8:

That construction was taking a long time.

02:18:27 - 02:18:39 | Speaker 1:

What's weird to me, not weird, I mean, I'm sure I'll get used to it, is that it's not like a road that you can drive down anymore. I like that. Unless it's like a police vehicle or something. It's not open to true traffic. We need that, though. We do need that downtown.

02:18:39 - 02:18:41 | Speaker 5:

We need more of that. To frolic about it.

02:18:41 - 02:18:48 | Speaker 8:

It's like Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Or, I don't know, some street somewhere else.

02:18:48 - 02:18:53 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, but Anna and I tag team in that tomorrow. So from 4 to 6, we downtown. Hollywood, Greek town. We outside.

02:18:54 - 02:19:13 | Speaker 8:

Hey, text to win Morgan Wallen tickets right now. Text WANT, W-A-N-T, to 95500. You can win a pair of tickets to see Morgan Wallen. Last pair up for grabs. Text WANT to 95500. Standard text and data rates to apply. That show's going to be a week from this week, or next weekend. So two weeks from this weekend.

02:19:14 - 02:19:16 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:19:16 - 02:19:24 | Speaker 8:

The last Dirty on the 30 of the morning, and Shannon's got it for you. Give it up for Shannon and all the great work she did.

02:19:24 - 02:19:25 | Speaker 2:

Yes, Shannon.

02:19:27 - 02:19:40 | Speaker 5:

Tigers rookie Eduardo Valencia so emotional and rightfully so last night after making his debut at Comerica Park against the Oakland A's. We won, by the way. But he hit a home run in his first MLB at-bat.

02:19:41 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 10:

Eduardo gets his first ever Major League time after getting to AAA for the first time last year for 50 games. Valencia in the air, straight away center, and out of here!

02:20:00 - 02:20:11 | Speaker 1:

What a night! That's a movie! Look at that. Is that amazing? You can hear the ball from that back.

02:20:11 - 02:20:17 | Speaker 2:

But listen to him talk about how much it meant to him and his family and his country.

02:20:18 - 02:20:21 | Speaker 5:

Eduardo Valencia downstairs with Daniela Bruce.

02:20:22 - 02:20:32 | Speaker 3:

Thank you, Jason. Eduardo, what a day for you. You make your Major League debut, your first at-bat. It's your first home run. What are you thinking as you watch that ball fly to center field?

02:20:33 - 02:20:46 | Speaker 4:

I was thinking like I was trying to hit a contact, like get a good piece, just be the more calm that I can do it. I was so excited. I mean, I was waiting a lot for this. For my family.

02:20:49 - 02:20:52 | Speaker 5:

For Venezuela. And I'm so excited.

02:20:53 - 02:20:59 | Speaker 3:

I know that your parents couldn't make the trip. They're still in Venezuela. What would your message be to them tonight?

02:20:59 - 02:21:23 | Speaker 5:

This is for all Venezuela people, for all my family, for all the coaches, in Dominican, in Florida, in Florida, for everybody. They give me everything. This is for all my family. My wife is right there. I don't know where. Right there. Love you. I was waiting a lot for this moment. It's so exciting.

02:21:23 - 02:21:29 | Speaker 3:

This is so special. And we saw you give a little heart symbol behind home plate. Was that to your wife?

02:21:30 - 02:21:40 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, to my wife. She knows how work I'm doing. She's part of this every time. I mean, I'm so excited. I can tell right now. I'm so excited.

02:21:40 - 02:21:46 | Speaker 3:

We'll let you go celebrate with your wife and your teammates. What an incredible night, Eduardo. Thank you for taking the time.

02:21:47 - 02:21:48 | Speaker 5:

Thank you. Thank you so much for your time.

02:21:48 - 02:21:50 | Speaker 2:

I love Daniela Bruce, by the way.

02:21:51 - 02:22:54 | Speaker 1:

Daniela Bruce is amazing. And she and Andy Dirks and Jason Benetti do great social. And I think it's Daniela's doing, but real quick, go back to Mr. Valencia here. I said, you know, he doesn't seem like the typical rookie coming up, and he's not. Kevin McGonigal, you know, our star superstar is only like 21 years old or whatever. This guy is like 26 or almost 27 years old, and he's been kind of, you know, trying to make his way up. And we picked him up as a free agent in that whole Dominican league that was there. So this is like a dream come true. Think about this. He gets called up from Toledo, where he's been playing with the Mud Hens. He and his wife are staying in some hotel, probably, Motor City Casino, I don't know, wherever. And he gets to go home, and I hope if you see him out, buy him a meal. Jason mentioned that last night as he was walking into the dugout. They go, that guy should not pay for his next meal. And I'm like, you know what? Get it. I'm happy for him.

02:22:54 - 02:24:23 | Speaker 2:

I love you. Team USA may have been knocked out of the World Cup by Belgium. Still disappointed about that. But Americans still set a record. Monday night's round of, no, yes, round 16, round of 16. Anyway, it drew 33.1 million viewers, making it the most watched soccer game ever in U.S. television history. At its peak, more than 41 million people were tuning in. It is the most watched TV program of any kind aside from the Super Bowl so far this year. Prosecutors read text messages in court yesterday that accused Charlie Kirk's assassin, Tyler Robinson, that he allegedly sent to his former roommate and lover, Lance Twiggs, just after that shooting happened. According to investigators, Tyler first texted, Stop what you're doing. Look under the keyboard, referring to a note that he had left behind. He then wrote, I'm still OK, my love. I'm sorry to involve you. When Lance, his lover, asked, you weren't the one who did it, right? Robinson allegedly replied, I am. I'm sorry. Asked why he killed Charlie Kirk, Tyler allegedly answered, I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can't be negotiated out. And he talked about the gun and why he left the gun, his plans to surrender. And at the end of the exchange, he wrote, delete these texts. If any police ask you questions, ask for a lawyer and stay silent.

02:24:24 - 02:25:28 | Speaker 1:

The Kirk attorney is in court with his widow and they're fighting to get all the information out because there's been so much scandal about people not believing that this guy is actually the shooter. And then they all think there's all kinds of like weird conspiracies and stuff, which I kind of believe some of them. But the attorney was talking yesterday. The evidence is being admitted in this preliminary hearing. It should be made public for the world to see. No redactions. This court has tools at its disposal. to make sure the defendant receives a fair trial, you'll use them if you find that you need to. That's it, Your Honor. To not be transparent here, to not be open, to not let the world see what happened will create doubt and distrust in the judicial system. And that's not what anybody wants. That's not what any of us believe should happen here. And we'd ask the court to consider the position of the family in making its ultimate decision. Interesting.

02:25:28 - 02:25:36 | Speaker 3:

And lastly, I definitely see this in my friend group as of late. More moms are turning to weed over alcohol.

02:25:38 - 02:25:47 | Speaker 5:

We're not doing this to escape. We're not doing this to be bad moms. We're not doing this to get away from our kids. We're using this as a tool.

02:25:48 - 02:26:01 | Speaker 4:

Texas mom of two and content creator Rachel Gibbs says cannabis doesn't check her out of motherhood, but rather helps her to check in and quiet the static in her head. It almost, like, turns the background noise off.

02:26:02 - 02:26:13 | Speaker 5:

I'm not zoned out. I'm not in the fridge all day long. I'm not just, like, sleeping on the couch. My kids aren't running around. Like, that's not it.

02:26:13 - 02:26:18 | Speaker 4:

And she says its impact on parenting her 3- and 5-year-old kids has been tremendous.

02:26:18 - 02:26:38 | Speaker 5:

I can get down on their level. I have more patience. It's calmed the nerves down. It's calmed the fight or flight. It's now in freeze and let's work it through together. Like we're on the same team. Rachel is far from alone. I know a lot of people hold shame and I'm here to take that out of it. Gardening makes me a better parent. You

02:26:38 - 02:26:57 | Speaker 4:

already know me. Coffee time baby. Videos tagged by so-called canna moms or garden moms have racked up millions of views across social media. While Rachel says she uses cannabis four to five days a week she insists there are hard rules around its use in her home if i am using cannabis there

02:26:57 - 02:27:12 | Speaker 5:

is another adult home i'm never driving under the influence ever we do not ever have um like actual cannabis out around our children they do not see it alcohol and marijuana both impair uh reaction

02:27:12 - 02:27:37 | Speaker 2:

time they impair decision making and if you know someone is taking charge of the care of a young child or some children they may need to engage in life-saving care make emergency decisions operate a motor vehicle safely and the regular use of marijuana before engaging in those behaviors can can impair your ability to do so so do you know moms that will smoke around their kids not

02:27:37 - 02:27:57 | Speaker 3:

smoke no more so like have a gummy and not even i'll be honest with you not at least in my group friends not even when they're around their children like if we go when we need when my god thank god it's friday when we go out i feel like a good chunk of my friends now will say i'm just gonna have a gummy instead of downing drinks all night yeah for a lot of reasons that's

02:27:57 - 02:28:22 | Speaker 6:

me it's interesting because it is legal in our state right so we you can do it so it's like alcohol i do still see a lot of people that get really really high in drive still like i'm i'm I'm shocked that nobody can tell me that getting high to that level makes their driving better. I promise you. Because those are the same people that drink and do the same thing.

02:28:22 - 02:28:52 | Speaker 7:

No, it's two totally different levels of activation. At least for me, back in the day when I used to smoke, I've never been more alert and more attentive as I was when I was high. I was aware of my speed. I was aware of the lights. I had 10 and 2, all of that. Okay. Telecop that. See where that gets you. I don't smoke anymore. or I don't have to. The back of the police car. The reverse was with alcohol. With alcohol, anything could grab my attention. You were less focused. Especially a girl. No, Mojo. With big boobies.

02:28:53 - 02:28:58 | Speaker 3:

Miss anything from today, so go back and check out the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app.

02:28:58 - 02:28:59 | Speaker 6:

Go Celebrity Dirt.

02:29:00 - 02:29:06 | Speaker 1:

Directly from the source. It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:29:07 - 02:29:57 | Speaker 6:

We're going to turn this place into a cigar lounge here in a second. uh it's mojo in the morning what's up buddy how are you good to see you man you look good our good friend chris from wild bills wild bills baby wild bills in the house here right now and they're doing a party this weekend where kevin is going to be it's tonight or tonight tonight in shelby township am i right yes 22 in van dyke 22 in van dyke if you're if you're in Grand Rapids and Toledo, we are sorry. It's a long way for you to come, but if you're in Detroit, Metro Detroit area, if you're anywhere on the east side of town, you're close enough to it. East side? It might be worth the drive, though. If you're coming from Grand Rapids and Toledo, what kind of cigars are we going to have here? So we have, tonight

02:29:57 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 1:

is a Drew Estate event. They have their new cigar, the El Tigre.

02:30:00 - 02:30:08 | Speaker 3:

And then the Deadwood. But, Mojo, you got some special cigars. Shout out to Drew Estates, too, man. You got some special cigars, Mojo.

02:30:08 - 02:30:10 | Speaker 1:

What are these? Tell me.

02:30:10 - 02:30:15 | Speaker 3:

These are Placentias. They're a mild cigar. They're just for you. Do you see the case?

02:30:15 - 02:30:23 | Speaker 1:

Tell Terry Woods I'll be bringing these on the golf course in an hour or so. Let me see the case. Terry Woods, Fox, PL official. Let me see the case.

02:30:23 - 02:30:26 | Speaker 3:

We've got Vita packs in there. Those are good to go. You got lighters, cutters.

02:30:27 - 02:30:34 | Speaker 1:

Can I tell you something, man? There is nothing better than having a great lighter and a great cutter. Oh, look at this torch.

02:30:34 - 02:30:35 | Speaker 2:

That's next level.

02:30:36 - 02:31:18 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. And it looks like a cigar. That's amazing. You know what's funny? My son Joe is a huge cigar guy. He smokes four cigars during 18 holes of golf. That's a lot of cigars in four hours. You know, it's like a cigar an hour. Well, Joe's young. His lungs can stay high. Mine can't. I try one cigar, and I, oh, it's awful, because I'm old and I'm in bad shape. The funniest thing for me, though, is my wife, when I come home after smoking a cigar on the course, makes me undress in the garage. I got to undress in the garage, which is kind of wild, because I leave the garage door open while I'm doing it.

02:31:18 - 02:31:22 | Speaker 3:

We had a meeting at Churchill's, so Churchill's is our sister company. Is it really?

02:31:22 - 02:31:30 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Oh, my God. I got a shout out, by the way. They got me a really nice lighter, too. Martin Manna picked one up for me. Shout out Martin Manna.

02:31:30 - 02:31:42 | Speaker 3:

Shout out Martin. Shout out Nash from Church Hills. So everything that Wild Bill's does, right, we have Church Hills. And so we went ahead and had a meeting at Church Hills. I walked into the office after. I was like, time to go change. Wow. Oh, yeah. I know.

02:31:42 - 02:31:44 | Speaker 2:

Tell them about tonight, though, man, from 5 to 9. What's going on?

02:31:44 - 02:32:12 | Speaker 3:

So tonight we got Pedro and Izzy, who are the two exclusive, like, endorsers for Drew Estate. Drew Estate has multiple, multiple lines. We have three cigars that you get for free when you walk in with the ticket. You can get tickets on Eventbrite. You can get them at the door. It's a great event. There's food. Med Bites is going to be there, which are Sharoma Bulls, Sharoma Wraps, all sorts of cigars. What's nice about Shelby is that it has a bar, indoor, outdoor seating. So it's just a good time. We'll have music.

02:32:12 - 02:32:14 | Speaker 1:

Wait, there's a bar at Wild Bill's Bar? Come on, man.

02:32:14 - 02:32:19 | Speaker 3:

Two of our locations have bars, the Westland location and the Shelby location. We're connected to a bar.

02:32:19 - 02:32:23 | Speaker 1:

Because there's a Wild Bill's by my house over, I think, in Sylvan or Kego or something.

02:32:23 - 02:32:27 | Speaker 3:

So we have Sylvan, Cigo, and Commerce right on Union Lake.

02:32:27 - 02:32:29 | Speaker 1:

So it's funny. Are there any bars close to my house?

02:32:30 - 02:32:35 | Speaker 3:

Westland, no. Oh, Westland. Okay. So the Commerce one has a lounge. Wow. You can go sit in there. You can smoke cigars.

02:32:35 - 02:32:39 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so this is kind of interesting because I might start getting into cigars.

02:32:39 - 02:32:47 | Speaker 4:

Come on, bro. Come on. Well, especially since you said you wanted to not do so much drinking. I don't want to drink anymore. So maybe this is like you're saying.

02:32:47 - 02:32:59 | Speaker 2:

And look, there's this misconception because, you know, I'm starting to get into cigars and get my knowledge up, too. There's a misconception that it's only for guys. No, it is not. Bro, I'm telling you. I didn't realize this.

02:32:59 - 02:33:06 | Speaker 4:

I actually had my first cigar. Is there a misconception? Not my whole cigar. Last summer. Wes was like, try it.

02:33:07 - 02:33:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I just brought Lottie a whole box of chocolate cigars. Oh, chocolate cigars. I love chocolate cigars. We've got strawberry cigars. So, cigars is really, really trending. Who's calling? It's the Drew Estate Rep. Oh, okay. I said nothing wrong. um so women are really really trending cigars it's it's really like i could sit in a restaurant next to somebody for two hours and not say a word to them two people smoking a cigar have to talk to each other within a minute right there's so many intricate things about cigars what's the wrapper what's the fill where's it from what is it from nicaragua is it from here there's so much to talk about cigars it's just a conversation for everywhere nice part about wild bills is We're the number one brick-and-mortar cigar company in the country, and we have from $5 cigars to $50 cigars, so we can take care of anybody's needs.

02:33:59 - 02:34:05 | Speaker 1:

So I'm a guy that started smoking cigars like everybody should. Bought it at a gas station. It was a Swisher Suite.

02:34:06 - 02:34:09 | Speaker 2:

Remember the Swisher Suite? We used to break them down. I still like those.

02:34:09 - 02:34:17 | Speaker 1:

And now you know what the Swisher Suite of mine is, and I don't want to shout out competitors or something, but those Acid cigars, which you guys, I buy from you.

02:34:17 - 02:34:17 | Speaker 3:

We saw Acids, of course.

02:34:17 - 02:34:32 | Speaker 1:

I've got them from you guys. I go on a golf course, and I give guys, like, these nice cigars that you just gave me. And I'm like, hey, guys. And then I'm sucking on the one that tastes like a candy cane, you know? So that's great. So tonight, Shelby Township. Five to nine. Where's it at in Shelby?

02:34:32 - 02:34:35 | Speaker 3:

It's right on the corner of 22 and Van Dyke. It's the Wild Bill Cigar Bar.

02:34:35 - 02:34:48 | Speaker 1:

That's like a stone's throw from Bianca's house. Yep. Right, Bianca? Will you go up there and smoke a cigar with Kevin tonight? You and Bryce? I think Lydia lives closer. I do. Lydia, are you right there? Yeah, I live right around the corner.

02:34:48 - 02:34:51 | Speaker 3:

Get you a chocolate cigar, Lydia. Bring your chocolate cigar and come on, Lydia.

02:34:51 - 02:35:00 | Speaker 1:

Take your dad out there. Get George out there to have fun. Oh, she's trying to find a man. No, but dad can... That'd be a nice dad. I'm with George. He has to be there when she wants to find a man.

02:35:00 - 02:35:20 | Speaker 4:

man. We need his approval. Yeah, that's right. Exactly. I love you, by the way. I do love you so much. I'm so happy that you're in studio for years. You would always help us with anything we ever needed. Give us food when we needed food, then donations to a breaking in and Christmas wish to make us, you know, be able to help more families. And I'm so happy that you're doing the

02:35:20 - 02:35:42 | Speaker 2:

whole wild bills, Churchill's thing now. And honestly, I left a great company, but I came to They're a really, really, really excellent company. So for me and you guys, anything that we've done in the past, whatever you guys need moving forward, we're here. They know the relationship we have with you guys, that I have with you guys, and it doesn't happen. Your family, I'm telling you. Whatever you guys need, we're here for you guys.

02:35:42 - 02:35:49 | Speaker 4:

The best. All right, just hang out for a little bit because Kev's got something. We got a bunch of stuff, and we're going to, you know, do you think you imagine?

02:35:49 - 02:35:50 | Speaker 3:

Let's light up in here.

02:35:50 - 02:35:52 | Speaker 4:

I don't think Christos would mind.

02:35:52 - 02:36:12 | Speaker 3:

That's the ultimate hotline. KQI Detroit, WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids, WVKS Toledo, and iHeart Radio Station. Guaranteed human. Real people. Real stories. Real laughs. Real smelly. And real dumb sometimes. Mojo in the Morning Live.

02:36:13 - 02:36:33 | Speaker 4:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning Show. You guys know Kev's a dad. He's got the most unbelievable son in the world, Josiah. And Josiah recently asked something to Kevin that he thought was inappropriate. Now, if Kevin thinks it's inappropriate. Yeah. I mean, I dumped you three times, I think, today.

02:36:33 - 02:36:35 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, the deadly sandwich gotcha.

02:36:35 - 02:36:36 | Speaker 4:

Egg, that got me.

02:36:36 - 02:37:51 | Speaker 5:

But it's not that I thought it was inappropriate. I was just completely caught off guard. So Josiah is in a summer program where he goes to U of M Monday through Friday. And when he comes off the bus, there I am waiting. and he comes and sits in the car and the first thing he says is dad what's a slut and i said huh he said what's a slut i said all right um where is this coming from and uh he was like well we're reading this book and it was in there i was like okay what's the name of the book i'm like what type of book got that in there i forgot the name of the book i said okay so what's the line before that let's get some context and it has something to do with like this man was talking about a lady and comparing it to a slut and i was like oh okay okay i get what you're saying now the difference is you know a lady is someone that's more up class you know someone of more of a higher regard someone with you know more character values in that way and then a slut is kind of just like a whore he was like what's a whore that was your answer in my mind i'm like i'm trying to like give examples you know what i mean and then we had a whole nother conversation

02:37:51 - 02:37:58 | Speaker 4:

about that yeah you you uh you might be the bad person to talk to him about i don't think i was

02:37:58 - 02:38:06 | Speaker 5:

though i think i gave it to him pretty good you know the difference between a lady and a slut right now he needs to know what a whore is well i said that's just somebody that's sleeping around with

02:38:06 - 02:38:12 | Speaker 4:

a bunch of people i always loved when the kids would ask questions like that and i'd just go Talk to your mom.

02:38:13 - 02:38:18 | Speaker 5:

Why? I look at that as like the perfect moment to stand up and give them the information they're seeking.

02:38:18 - 02:38:24 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. I don't know. Chelsea didn't think I was appropriate with the stuff that I would do either, just like I don't think you are.

02:38:25 - 02:38:26 | Speaker 5:

I thought I did a great job.

02:38:26 - 02:38:31 | Speaker 4:

I would have shown Luke pictures. Let me show you a couple pictures here. See this girl?

02:38:33 - 02:38:37 | Speaker 1:

In my jorts, yeah. That's so funny. You pointed to me. No, I did.

02:38:38 - 02:38:49 | Speaker 4:

Yes, you did. No, I was doing it. You did. I looked over at you because I can't see over this game. Real quick, I want to ask a question. Does Smith ever ask you kind of questions and do you ever pawn him off on his dad?

02:38:50 - 02:39:30 | Speaker 1:

Lucy doesn't ask me so much. Smith asks all the questions. I mean, he catches me off guard so many times. So recently, actually not even recently, it was probably about a year ago, one of the group chats that my friends and I have is called the Husky Hoes. and it's because we all met at a time where our kids went to a school and the mascot was a husky and then somebody made the name to the group chat the husky hose i don't remember who well whenever people's text it comes up on my car screen so he's like mom what's the husky hose and that was one i'm like oh it's just it's just our group chat name i'm not explaining that to a

02:39:30 - 02:39:46 | Speaker 4:

nine-year-old eight-year-old at the time you know start naming everybody in that group text They're all the moms and the kids that you are hanging out with. Got me in t-shirts. I remember there was a listener that said, when we do it in the thing, Mommy, what is a vagina? Remember that?

02:39:46 - 02:39:47 | Speaker 1:

No, it was an orgasm.

02:39:47 - 02:39:48 | Speaker 4:

Or an orgasm.

02:39:48 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 1:

Because for the longest time, the show started with a drop of me saying it's like an orgasm in a cup, and it was a little old Chaldean lady trying a frappuccino for the first time. That's where that came from, and I was telling the story.

02:40:00 - 02:40:03 | Speaker 2:

But I remember that mom calling in, and she's like, now my kid's asking what an orgasm is.

02:40:04 - 02:40:04 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

02:40:05 - 02:40:05 | Speaker 2:

Hey, okay.

02:40:06 - 02:40:47 | Speaker 7:

So I'm like, I remember one time, shout out to Chrissy and Gerard. I was in their kitchen, and they had some friends over, and this lady had her little son running around. He's like six or seven, something like that. So she's like, Kev, what's going on? What you been up to? I'm like, man, working, you know, doing this, da-da. She was like, you got another job? I was like, yeah, man, you know, it's hard. I had to get another job. She's like, what you doing? It's like, I'm a stripper now, man. Call me chocolate drop. So I kept going, right, like, doing my thing. She leaves with her son, getting the car there off, and then my cousin Christina, who's sitting on the couch next to me, answers the phone, and she's calling. She's like, put Kevin on speakerphone. I'm like, what's going on? She's like, go ahead and ask him. She in the backseat of the boy, like, what's a stripper? The whole time the car ride home, she was like, well, I'm going to kill you.

02:40:48 - 02:40:52 | Speaker 8:

Hey, Kevin, meet Kevin. Kevin wants to talk to you. What's going on, bro?

02:40:53 - 02:40:58 | Speaker 6:

Kevin, you got to be careful, man. Your son might start calling. You a slut pretty soon. Oh, no, he ain't going to never come out.

02:40:58 - 02:41:10 | Speaker 8:

I'll pop him like I'll pop you. No, no, no. Kevin's not dating sluts. He's dating women that clean his house for him. I've never dated sluts. I've only dated classy women. Exactly.

02:41:11 - 02:41:15 | Speaker 6:

He cleaned up his act. Hey, Kevin, I used to own a Wild Bill, so I might see you at that event today, too. Come on, man.

02:41:16 - 02:41:19 | Speaker 8:

What's your name? We've got Chris and everybody from Wild Bill still in studio with us.

02:41:20 - 02:41:24 | Speaker 6:

So me and my brother used to own the one in Fort Gratiot, so it's the Port Huron area.

02:41:25 - 02:41:26 | Speaker 8:

Okay, Fort Gratiot, Port Huron area.

02:41:26 - 02:41:28 | Speaker 6:

Kevin, come on down and see us. We'll be at Danny's store.

02:41:28 - 02:41:30 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. Make sure that you.

02:41:30 - 02:41:40 | Speaker 5:

I know Danny very well. All right, brother. We'll see you. Danny is junior. All right. I'll be there. Yeah, junior will be there. Derek will be there. Danny, all of us. We're all going to be there. I want friends that name our junior.

02:41:41 - 02:41:52 | Speaker 8:

All right, bro. I got junior and I got, you know, Sammy here. Hey, real quick, Kevin, Kevin on the phone line. Do you have kids? I do. I have two kids and one on the way. So how old are your kids?

02:41:53 - 02:41:57 | Speaker 6:

Four, two, and I'm going to be born in November. Oh, my gosh. You wait.

02:41:57 - 02:42:04 | Speaker 8:

You're about nine years away from your kids saying stuff to you, or actually maybe even less, saying stuff to you that you're going to be like. My daughter. Yeah.

02:42:04 - 02:42:07 | Speaker 6:

They pick up everything. My daughter's four years old, and she's already cursing at me.

02:42:07 - 02:42:11 | Speaker 8:

Wait a second. Don't say the word, but what does it start with that she says?

02:42:12 - 02:42:20 | Speaker 6:

F, B. Where is she getting it from? Mommy got a potty mouth. She got a sailor's mouth.

02:42:20 - 02:42:33 | Speaker 8:

I swear to you, when my friend's kids swear, and the kids, Chelsea has to yell at me because she'll be like, you know, our friend's son will start cracking up laughing. Danny, that is so funny. And she's like, you cannot laugh.

02:42:33 - 02:42:34 | Speaker 7:

My kids have the worst.

02:42:34 - 02:42:36 | Speaker 8:

Smith has the worst mouth.

02:42:36 - 02:42:39 | Speaker 7:

Are they using it correctly? Yes. That's what I actually.

02:42:39 - 02:42:45 | Speaker 8:

And actually, they're smart enough to spell it, too, which is they can put it in. If they wanted to, they could put it in text.

02:42:45 - 02:42:46 | Speaker 7:

It's like a spelling bee. Country of origin.

02:42:47 - 02:42:49 | Speaker 8:

All right. Thanks, Kevin. I appreciate you, buddy. Take care of yourself. Thank you.

02:42:50 - 02:42:50 | Speaker 7:

Yep.

02:42:50 - 02:42:57 | Speaker 8:

Bye-bye. I want to know what kind of books you read that have – maybe that's kind of reading. Maybe it will get me into reading.

02:42:57 - 02:43:06 | Speaker 7:

It was something like, you know, be a lady and not a – it was something like that. It was comparing, you know, the difference between a lady and, you know, the other side of it.

02:43:06 - 02:43:30 | Speaker 8:

I remember reading the Bible, and I was not a big – I couldn't do the thou, there's, those, you know what I mean? Like it was written – King's James Version. Yeah, like the old school. occasionally though it got a little risque and when I would get into the versions of the bible I don't know if it was New Testament or Old Testament I'm a heathen but I would go oh I can read this book

02:43:30 - 02:43:33 | Speaker 7:
