You're a doo-doo head.

00:01:06 - 00:01:07 | Unknown:

It's showtime.

00:01:07 - 00:02:22 | Speaker 3:

Got a nice show for you, a nice one. I don't actually know if nice is the word. It's going to be a great show. It is a Monday and full strength all week long. Five days, no summer vacations. God forbid anybody gets sick. That would be the only way that not all of us are here. So nobody gets sick. We got tons of stuff to give away. Summer Cars Cash and Gas is winding. We only have this week and then a few days next week. And then Thursday, a week from Thursday, we're giving the car away or the $20,000 cash at Gordon Chevrolet at 2025 Chevy Trax. Pay your bills. Continuing with Uncle Bobby, Bob Pittman, giving you a chance to win $13,000 a day on this radio station, Channel 955, 104.5 SNX, and 92.5 KISS FM, plus the iHeartRadio app. Get ready for that. And we've got, let's see here. Did I plug Wiz Khalifa yet? Have I done that? We're going to get high with Wiz Khalifa. Want to meet Wiz Khalifa? Want to hang out? Want to get high with him? Well, get ready, because this morning on the show, all our stone bugs are going to have a chance to win our stone bugs.

00:02:22 - 00:02:24 | Speaker 4:

Is that a thing? Is that a word? Who says that?

00:02:24 - 00:02:28 | Speaker 3:

The stoners. The stoners of the world. You know who the stoners are in your life.

00:02:28 - 00:02:37 | Speaker 4:

Definitely. I don't know if I've ever referred to them or been referred to as a stone bug. Oh, you got to. If you're a stoner, you're a stone bug.

00:02:37 - 00:02:51 | Speaker 3:

If you could get high with three other people all time, dead or alive, who would they be? Shannon Murphy, Kevin Irwin, and I'll throw in Lydia Jarjosa.

00:02:52 - 00:02:59 | Speaker 4:

Look, I got to say, if I was to get high with anybody dead or alive, I would not be picking you guys. Why? Why? Because it's dead or alive. It could be anybody.

00:02:59 - 00:03:13 | Speaker 3:

Are you kidding me? So you can pick any, you're going to pick like, I don't know, Jesus Christ, excluding Jesus. I don't want Jesus to get high. Why? Why can't you? He cannot be in this neighborhood. You don't think the disciples and Jesus were smokers? No.

00:03:14 - 00:03:15 | Speaker 4:

Some of the disciples probably.

00:03:16 - 00:03:21 | Speaker 3:

I see. I think that back then, I think that was how they, you know, they all wore sandals.

00:03:22 - 00:03:25 | Speaker 4:

So people who wear sandals are stone bucks?

00:03:26 - 00:03:30 | Speaker 1:

Matthew was doing taxes all day long. I know he had to go home and enjoy himself. Exactly.

00:03:30 - 00:03:32 | Speaker 3:

See that? The tax man right there.

00:03:32 - 00:03:36 | Speaker 4:

Mojo thought the burning bush in the Bible stood for a little something different, huh?

00:03:36 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 3:

No, I think that it would be the best of the best. It would be like Jesus, I don't know, John Lennon. And I got to throw in like an all-time stoner, Willie Nelson. You know what I mean? Something like that. Is Willie Nelson dead? No, he's still smoking. Is he really? Yeah, he's still alive. Okay. Well, we can kill Willie. That'll be easier to get him to come.

00:04:04 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 4:

I probably go Snoop. I feel like Snoop Dogg has to be in a rotation. Yeah. When I think of people who smoke weed and all-time weed smokers, Snoop comes to mind.

00:04:12 - 00:04:12 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:04:12 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 4:

I got to have like a female. I don't know if I want to go new school, like throw Rihanna in there, or if I want to go randomly Marilyn Monroe popped into my head. Okay. And then I'm going to need a doctor on day. Wait, wait, wait. Just in case you get too crazy? Just in case. Are you going to trust their knowledge while they're high? As long as it's not Michael Jackson doctor, I think I'll be all right.

00:04:33 - 00:04:36 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. What was the guy's name? Michael Jackson. Herb Reaper.

00:04:36 - 00:04:37 | Speaker 4:

What was his name?

00:04:38 - 00:04:40 | Speaker 3:

Dr. Cutter.

00:04:40 - 00:04:43 | Speaker 4:

What the hell was his name? It's in the Googles. That is going to drive me nuts now.

00:04:44 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 3:

Hang on. Conrad Murray. Oh, that's right. Murray, you were close. Give him a point. It's been a minute since I've heard that name. I like this as a topic to start off, Lydia. If you could get high with three people. dead or alive, who are the three people that you would get high with? And you don't even have to be somebody that gets high. Like, I know some people that get high. And it's funny because they all have come out of the woodwork ever since it became legalized. And the funny thing is, these people are not the people I would ever have thought. Like, the people that surprised me the most. Like, all the, actually, the people who I thought would be the ones that would go crazy for this, they don't partake. Like, they don't like the feeling of it. They're just naturally a high person, I guess. But it is really wild to see the friends of mine. Like, I have friends that, you know, are always seems like high.

00:05:37 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 5:

You are high as a f***ing kite.

00:05:39 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 3:

You know? The secret stoners, bro. Yeah. The guy that's the financial advisor that wears a suit all day.

00:05:45 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 2:

That's a fact. Can't wait to get home. Teachers. Soon as teachers get off, I guarantee you, man, they in the car. Don't get up, man.

00:05:55 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 3:

I have never felt so sick in my whole entire life.

00:06:27 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 3:

Was it at one of Norm's parties?

00:06:29 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I don't care if it was Jesus who came down from heaven and said, I will smoke with you. My answer is no thank you. We had to win. No thank you.

00:06:37 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 3:

Anytime you get Randy and Johnny Dare together, our two radio friends, boom, it's bad.

00:06:43 - 00:06:46 | Speaker 2:

Crossfade is like the only way I could probably smoke now.

00:06:46 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 1:

Like already having some liquor in here or something.

00:06:49 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so your answer is that?

00:06:51 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 1:

No thank you. Golden Girls, Shannon, that's got to be the answer.

00:06:54 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 3:

Really? The Golden Girls is a great answer for you.

00:06:57 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 1:

Even them. I'm not down. Jason Bateman.

00:07:00 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 3:

00:07:01 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 1:

You can't say no to JB. I don't think I could say no to him.

00:07:07 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 3:

You'd be like squeezing him the whole time, wouldn't you? You'd be the greatest thing ever.

00:10:14 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 3:

00:10:17 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 6:

Oh, jeez. Sounds like a challenge. Oh, my God. How much weed are you smoking? How much are you doing?

00:10:22 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I smoke in the morning. I smoke on lunch. I smoke when I get home. That's a song.

00:10:29 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 6:

A Smoke in the Morning. What song was that? Smoke in the Night. That's a song. I can't remember. We're going to play the throwback throwdown with you. Ari has a list of three, and one of them is like OG. What's going on?

00:10:45 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so for me, I would go with Cheech and Chong, Snoop Dogg, and then Carol Burnett.

00:10:50 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 6:

That's the wild one. Carol Burnett, out of all people.

00:10:53 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 4:

She would be so fun. She's like a Broadway and television legend.

00:10:57 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I've seen this face before. She's the reason why so many comedic actresses kind of got paved the way.

00:11:07 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 7:

I had to smoke with her when she was younger.

00:11:10 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 6:

You know what, though? She was one of those people. She's still alive, too. Is she really? Yeah. So she's like Dick Van Dyke alive, huh?

00:11:18 - 00:11:19 | Speaker 2:

She's not that old, but she's old.

00:11:19 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 6:

She's 92. That would be an amazing one, too. Dick Van Dyke. Could you imagine him and what was Mary Poppins' name? Julie Andrews. Julie Andrews. And all of a sudden, you're like, next thing you know, you got your umbrella, like, hanging out. Chim chiminy, chim chiminy, chim chimcharoo. I'm impressed you know that. I am as stoned as you and you. What's going on? Dustin, hi.

00:11:47 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 3:

What's going on? I probably spoke with Jackie Chan, Adam Sandler, Evan Hart.

00:11:54 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 7:

Oh, Adam Sandler is actually a really great pick. That might be my favorite session so far.

00:11:59 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, that is actually a really good one.

00:12:01 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 7:

Long time, long time. Stop it. Hey, stoner on the phone. Wait, wait, wait. Hold on a second. Hey, hey. I'm going to say I love you too. Hold up, bro.

00:12:12 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 6:

Well, hold on, hold on. Stop for a second, because you just said the trifecta of the greatest, and I'm going to have my trifecta be here with you. You don't have anything in your system right now, do you?

00:12:24 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 7:

No, I'm on my way to work right now.

00:12:26 - 00:12:29 | Speaker 6:

All right, so again, your first one was?

00:12:30 - 00:12:31 | Speaker 7:

Adam Sandler.

00:12:31 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 3:

This is Adam Sandler. You're listening to Mojo in the Morning. And he is very, very hot, and I do want to touch his hiney.

00:12:39 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 6:

Your second one was?

00:12:41 - 00:12:48 | Speaker 5:

Jackie Chan. Jackie Chan. Popular effect. Hi, this is Jackie Chan. What? Hi, this is Jackie Chan.

00:12:48 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 4:

More of Mojo in the Morning is next.

00:12:50 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 5:

More of Mojo in the? In the morning. More of the mojo. More of a mojo in the morning is this. All right, and your third?

00:13:03 - 00:13:07 | Speaker 3:

It was, who was? That was Kevin Hart. He almost forgot.

00:13:08 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 1:

He almost forgot. Hey, what's going on? This is Kevin Hart, a.k.a. K-Hart, a.k.a. Chocolate Drop. Right now, you're listening to Mojo in the morning. Listen to him, bitches.

00:13:17 - 00:13:25 | Speaker 6:

The amazing thing is, you're going to go on with your day today, and you're going to think you did get high with all three of those guys. Have a great one, buddy. See you, Dustin.

00:13:26 - 00:13:36 | Speaker 5:

Bye. Bye. How smart are you? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in 10. Where we give you a bunch of events and you tell us what year it happened.

00:13:37 - 00:13:41 | Speaker 6:

It was the year that Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra got married. Are they still married?

00:13:41 - 00:13:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yes. He pulled out all the stops and it came to Priyanka's engagement ring. He literally shut down a Tiffany's store. He came out with a whopping cushion-cut diamond with tapered baguettes, and she could not wait to show it off.

00:13:57 - 00:14:12 | Speaker 6:

And Blockers, starring John Cena. Was that a movie at the box office? Yeah, I was going through the laundry. I found these new phones. What was this about? What was Blockers about? I didn't see them. You gotta Google it. Oh, no. Like football Blockers?

00:14:12 - 00:14:18 | Speaker 7:

No, it wasn't like that. It was, they were blocking, their parents blocking their teenage daughter from...

00:14:18 - 00:14:18 | Speaker 6:

See Blockers?

00:14:19 - 00:14:19 | Speaker 7:

Exactly.

00:14:19 - 00:14:20 | Speaker 6:

And the big song.

00:14:21 - 00:14:30 | Speaker 4:

Guys playing. In what year did that crap happen? Call us at 844-MOJO-LIVE to tell us. 844-665-6548.

00:14:31 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 6:

Mandy, what year was that?

00:14:34 - 00:14:36 | Speaker 2:

That was 2018. Yes, it was. Yeah.

00:14:37 - 00:14:37 | Unknown:

Yay.

00:14:38 - 00:14:39 | Speaker 2:

All right.

00:14:39 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 6:

Liz, uh, uh, Liz, uh, Liz, Liz, Liz, Lydia is who I was going to say instead of Liz. Lydia, are we giving away Wiz Khalifa tickets for this?

00:14:48 - 00:14:51 | Speaker 2:

We are. Yeah, Wiz Khalifa is so kind.

00:14:51 - 00:14:57 | Speaker 6:

He gave us a ton of tickets. Wiz Khalifa and DaBaby at Pine Knob. Congratulations. I have to go to that.

00:14:58 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 2:

Nice. Thank you.

00:14:59 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 1:

When is that show?

00:15:00 - 00:15:09 | Speaker 3:

It is July the 23rd, which is next week, the day before our car giveaway. So next Wednesday. Congratulations. Have fun.

00:15:09 - 00:15:11 | Speaker 6:

Thank you so much. I can't go.

00:15:11 - 00:15:41 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah, because you want to make sure you show it. Last time you. Yeah. We called that you pull the Keisha Cole on us, right? All right. We got a chance for you to win in our summer of cars, cash, and gas. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 95th caller. 844-665-6548. 00:15:42 - 00:15:44 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the mornings, Dirty on the 30.

00:15:44 - 00:15:49 | Speaker 3:

Her name is Shannon, and she's going to give you the dirty right now, the Dirty on the 30. What's going on?

00:15:49 - 00:16:13 | Speaker 2:

So President Trump over the weekend defending U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi over all of these calls for her to resign. And this has to do with critics accusing Bondi of withholding all sorts of information about Jeffrey Epstein's death and his so-called client list, which she promised we will get some information about and we never did.

00:16:13 - 00:16:45 | Speaker 5:

President Trump attending the FIFA Club World Cup final in New Jersey with Attorney General Pam Bondi in a show of support amid growing backlash after the Justice Department said there was no additional evidence to reveal in the Jeffrey Epstein case. Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein? This guy's been talked about for years. Last week, a Justice Department report said the accused sex trafficker did not keep a secret so-called client list. Now, many in Trump's base are angry with the DOJ's report and are accusing Bondi of taking part in a cover-up.

00:16:45 - 00:16:52 | Speaker 1:

How many of you are satisfied? You can clap. Satisfied with the results of the Epstein

00:16:52 - 00:17:02 | Speaker 5:

investigation. Clap. At a conservative student summit over the weekend, Trump allies voicing

00:17:02 - 00:17:17 | Speaker 4:

their frustration. Everything you want to know is in those documents. Unseal all of the grand jury testimony that was presented when the Trump administration charged Jeffrey Epstein.

00:17:18 - 00:17:52 | Speaker 5:

The president defending Bondi in a lengthy social media post saying let Pam Bondi do her job, she's great, saying she's doing a fantastic job and claiming without evidence that Hillary Clinton and President Obama, among others, created the Epstein files. But his post received far more replies then likes or reposts often a sign of widespread disapproval. I don't think he realizes how much he's humiliated the administration. This is a self-inflicted wound. Some analysts saying this could have political implications for the president and the Republican Party. Well look

00:17:52 - 00:18:05 | Speaker 6:

what Donald Trump is learning is when you start the fire sometimes you can't put it out. Now he started this Epstein fire during the campaign and he used that to fire up his own base and he was

00:18:05 - 00:18:15 | Speaker 5:

going to get to the bottom of it and yesterday president trump saying he had a positive conversation with deputy fbi director dan bongino who was reportedly considering resigning after

00:18:15 - 00:18:22 | Speaker 2:

clashing with bondi over the fc there is so much here i you always say there's a hair in the butter

00:18:22 - 00:19:11 | Speaker 3:

and i'm like there's like a lot of hair in the that's where it's gotten bad is that uh his own people that are you know the people that are were staunch supporters like cash patel and dan bongino are saying that they're being stopped from this. I think she's the fall girl on this one. I think that that's the case. Rumor has it, and I heard this one over the weekend, literally from not a TikTok or Fox News, like everybody thinks it's a Fox News report whenever I bring this stuff up. I heard this actually from somebody I know that is kind of in the know locally in Michigan politics and is a Democrat that says they think Don Jr. is on the list and that he's trying to protect his son. I've not heard that story until this weekend. And it was from a very interesting source. But because I said-

00:19:11 - 00:19:13 | Speaker 2:

You want to know something else related to this?

00:19:13 - 00:19:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:19:13 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 2:

We all know the name Ghislaine Maxwell. She was like Epstein's right-hand woman. She's the only person who is in jail, I think for the next two decades because of her role in this. Nobody has ever asked her to share what she knows. Yeah. And I'm being told that she would love the chance to come out and tell the american public the quote-unquote truth so that could be very interesting if somebody you know makes that happen but it'd be interesting okay another dirty today real quick congrats to vanessa hudgen she announced on social media over the weekend that she is expecting baby number two with her husband cole tucker they just welcomed their first child last july they're going to be busy and lastly sydney sweeney is supposedly in They're running to be the next James Bond girl in the long awaited new.

00:20:00 - 00:20:22 | Speaker 4:

In the 007 franchise, director Dennis Villanueva is apparently a friend of the Euphoria and White Lotus actress, so he's trying to get her involved. And then Jeff Bezos, kind of random, who's the head of Amazon, obviously, and has creative control over this movie, or at least a hand in it, is also believed to be backing Sidney, who was just at his wedding a couple of weekends ago as well.

00:20:22 - 00:20:46 | Speaker 3:

Bigger than this. Bigger than you're dirty. Shannon taking on a 15-time champion face-to-face. Yeah. And the five at 655, smarter than Shannon in a second. Are you ready? I am ready. She is our, what's her name? Alicia? Is that what her? Monica. Monica? I don't know. I never trust you with names. I'm bad with it. Thank God I haven't actually been married to Chelsea for such a long time. Screw that up. Is Monica here?

00:20:48 - 00:20:50 | Speaker 5:

Monica should be here within the next three minutes.

00:20:50 - 00:20:57 | Speaker 3:

Okay. We got 5 and 6.55 coming up in the next, I don't know, do the math. 5 and 6.55. It's 6.42. Go ahead, Shannon.

00:20:57 - 00:20:59 | Speaker 2:

We should put you in charge of the Epstein list.

00:21:00 - 00:21:01 | Speaker 4:

For all of.

00:21:02 - 00:21:06 | Speaker 2:

What does that have to do with anything? We talked about the Epstein list. You get names wrong. Who's the wiser?

00:22:59 - 00:23:03 | Speaker 4:

I don't think the headphones work. This is how our show typically goes.

00:23:04 - 00:23:11 | Speaker 3:

I hate having her hair because she doesn't have the logo behind her then. That's sad. We'll switch it up. Bring this guy in, too. Who's this guy?

00:23:11 - 00:23:12 | Speaker 4:

Who's my boyfriend?

00:23:12 - 00:23:15 | Speaker 3:

Bring him in. He's welcome in here.

00:23:15 - 00:23:17 | Speaker 4:

Look at him. He's listening on his phone.

00:23:17 - 00:23:25 | Speaker 3:

Ladies and gentlemen, our champion in the 5S655 for 15 go rounds is Monica. Monica, what is your last name?

00:23:26 - 00:23:26 | Speaker 6:

Costa.

00:23:26 - 00:23:28 | Speaker 3:

Monica Costa. Where are you from?

00:23:28 - 00:23:29 | Speaker 6:

Rochester.

00:23:29 - 00:23:44 | Speaker 3:

Rochester. Speak right in that microphone like it would be the thing on your phone, the bottom of your phone. All right. So Monica Costa from Rochester has won 15 in a row. So, you know, Monica, I know you told us when you went for your first win what you did for a living, and I cannot remember.

00:23:44 - 00:23:47 | Speaker 6:

I own a cleaning company called Mother Scrubbers.

00:23:47 - 00:23:48 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God.

00:23:49 - 00:23:50 | Speaker 6:

That is so funny.

00:23:51 - 00:23:52 | Speaker 3:

And you guys clean residential?

00:23:53 - 00:23:54 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, residential homes.

00:23:54 - 00:24:02 | Speaker 3:

Okay. And so would you, in this time of the morning, would you be getting ready to run off and do you do the cleaning or do you just manage everything?

00:24:03 - 00:24:26 | Speaker 6:

I do do the cleaning. So normally now, like I'd be eating breakfast, getting myself ready. but during the school year headed to drop the kids off to school and okay um but we have six kids so oh my goodness gracious between the two of you yeah i have five he has one mother scrubber how you guys are busy and our oldest graduates um high school this year so oh my gosh from

00:24:26 - 00:24:38 | Speaker 3:

rochester adams or from henry ford henry ford okay nice all right so here's the uh the deal with this when you're doing this contest and you're getting ready what is your routine normally

00:24:38 - 00:25:00 | Speaker 6:

um so normally like i've been faithful in doing the same thing for the past three weeks because i am kind of like a stickler about that so i make myself breakfast make my coffee and then i actually go sit outside in my car so i can like be in nature and just kind of like get in my own zone and then i made sure to do that every single day so yeah so do you want

00:25:00 - 00:25:09 | Speaker 1:

to go do this in your car is that easier for you this was much more exciting for me i've like been talking about this to everybody all weekend so well i'm going to tell you this i thought you

00:25:09 - 00:25:14 | Speaker 2:

were a great champion and you are a great champion but the ultimate test is if you can beat this lady

00:25:14 - 00:25:18 | Speaker 1:

over here i know lady and i'm going to say something about i'm going to say something

00:25:18 - 00:25:30 | Speaker 2:

about this lady this lady over here may seem like she's sweet and nice and she may seem like she actually is welcoming of you coming in here she could give two craps i've run into shannon because

00:25:30 - 00:26:30 | Speaker 1:

like i'm originally from macomb so like i actually saw her and wes on maybe one of their first dates give us the dirt give us the dirty on the 30 then on that one you could tell she was kind of trying to be discreet so i was giving her like yes because she was trying to make it appear like she wasn't dating anybody for a long time this is very true but shannon is um very close to me in many ways because i went through a divorce as well and kind of you kind of like just share a connection with somebody and so i don't want to get emotional but oh it's just it's just nice to know that like somebody who i've listened to for all of your 19 years here like you have that connection with them and so it's just nice to like listen to your stories and be able to relate especially when it comes to blended families and you guys do that so beautifully so thank you so now you gotta beat her ass i know and i will don't seriously don't let that get in your head you're

00:26:30 - 00:26:34 | Speaker 2:

gonna let that get in your head she's gonna destroy you in this game okay think of think of her as your

00:26:34 - 00:26:48 | Speaker 1:

ex yeah 2025 hasn't been the best year for us um my mom had a hemorrhagic stroke and um it's just been like is she okay or she's okay yeah she's actually listening right now hi mom does mom like

00:26:48 - 00:28:09 | Speaker 2:

the new guy she my family adores him yeah he's absolutely phenomenal okay so well Leroy no helping her okay or you will be expelled from the studio by the bouncer over here he'd be the worst bouncer ever. Hey, hey, excuse me, can you come out? Okay, you can just go around the back door and go back there. Just don't tell anybody. It's the worst security ever. All right, here we go. Let's go. Five at 6.55. Five at 6.55, go now. All right, here's the story about a little lady. Her name is Shannon. You know I hate it, and that was the second time you said it. Third, actually. Well, I was trying to do the Brady Bunch thing. Here's a story about a little lady um so she has been playing this contest ever since she started on the show with us uh she started off doing smarter than shannon and then after time of getting boring where the listeners kind of were like we're done with this whole thing we you know she can't uh let anybody win she then decided to do the five at 655 and now we have this will you ask her to leave the

00:28:09 - 00:28:16 | Speaker 1:

studio is that okay leave the studio nice and then shannon where is she going make sure that

00:28:16 - 00:28:39 | Speaker 2:

she's the bouncer's gonna watch her we're gonna ask five questions okay whoever gets the most right wins tie goes to shannon since she's the ultimate champion got it question number one the detroit tigers got swept this weekend for the first time since their first series of the season against last year's World Series champs. What team won the MLB World Series last year?

00:29:40 - 00:29:48 | Speaker 2:

And question number five, UFC fighter Conor McGregor is 37 today. What country was he born?

00:30:01 - 00:30:03 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. I'm, like, so nervous.

00:30:03 - 00:30:05 | Speaker 2:

You were sweating, weren't you? I am. You were sweating. All right.

00:30:06 - 00:30:12 | Speaker 3:

00:30:18 - 00:30:20 | Speaker 1:

She got four, Shannon. Okay. I'm dying.

00:30:21 - 00:30:22 | Speaker 2:

You got to get at least four.

00:30:22 - 00:30:25 | Speaker 1:

She was rolling. You ready? Time to fall.

00:30:25 - 00:30:31 | Speaker 2:

All right. Shannon, we got sports questions. Okay, okay, okay. We do not have a rapper question. We've got everything.

00:30:31 - 00:30:32 | Speaker 3:

Okay, all right.

00:30:32 - 00:30:44 | Speaker 2:

Here we go. Question number one. The Detroit Tigers got swept this weekend for the first time since their first series of the season against last year's World Series champ.

00:30:44 - 00:30:45 | Speaker 3:

Oh, hell.

00:30:45 - 00:30:48 | Speaker 2:

What team won the MLB World Series last year?

00:30:48 - 00:30:50 | Speaker 3:

Jesus. Three seconds.

00:30:50 - 00:31:01 | Speaker 2:

The Oakland A's. No, that's a guess. The Oakland A's. I don't know. The L.A. Dodgers. Okay. Did you know that one? That was the only one she got wrong.

00:31:01 - 00:31:04 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I hate not having cushions. I watched the game Friday. I should have known the answer.

00:31:05 - 00:31:21 | Speaker 2:

You cannot miss any of these next questions. Otherwise, we got the ultimate champ over here, Monica. Question number two. President Trump is facing backlash from his MAGA base over the Epstein files. What was Jeffrey Epstein's occupation other than sex offender?

00:31:21 - 00:31:25 | Speaker 3:

He was a financier. Correct answer.

00:31:25 - 00:31:41 | Speaker 2:

Wow, financier. One to one. Question number three, and again, she cannot miss these. This game that uses terms like draw, discard, reverse, and skip is being made into a casino club at the Palms in Vegas.

00:31:42 - 00:31:43 | Speaker 3:

Uno.

00:31:43 - 00:31:44 | Unknown:

Correct.

00:31:44 - 00:32:02 | Speaker 2:

Two to two. Question four will be a tough one for you. Question four, David Cornset is the latest Superman in the number one movie at the box office. Which of these actors has never been Superman?

00:32:02 - 00:32:02 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay.

00:32:04 - 00:32:15 | Speaker 2:

Christopher Reeve, Dean Cain, Jason Statham, or Henry Cavill? Jason Statham. Correct. Three to three. And it comes down to this.

00:32:15 - 00:32:16 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God.

00:32:18 - 00:32:22 | Speaker 2:

Last call. Last call. You ready?

00:32:22 - 00:32:23 | Speaker 3:

It's for sweat. Yep.

00:32:24 - 00:32:25 | Speaker 2:

Question number five.

00:32:25 - 00:32:25 | Speaker 3:

Boom.

00:32:26 - 00:32:26 | Unknown:

Blah, blah, blah.

00:32:26 - 00:32:33 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I didn't know it. Monica, do you want her to have good luck on this one, or do you want to just destroy her?

00:32:33 - 00:32:35 | Speaker 3:

I mean, either will work.

00:32:35 - 00:32:53 | Speaker 2:

Deep down inside, I love hair pulling and fighting of girls. Go ahead. And I'm not, pull his hair. I don't know, pull mine. Mine ain't long enough. Here we go. Question number five, Shannon. It's a sports question. Okay. UFC fighter Conor McGregor is 37 years old today. You know anything about the UFC?

00:32:54 - 00:32:55 | Speaker 3:

Not really, no.

00:32:55 - 00:32:56 | Speaker 2:

What country was he born?

00:32:57 - 00:33:19 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Jesus. Ireland? Correct. Oh, my God. Oh, my God.

00:33:19 - 00:33:39 | Speaker 2:

Oh, wow, wow, wow, wow. Well, Monica. Your eyes are going to pop on your eyes. That was crazy. Calm down. I thought you were done. I thought you were done. It ain't fair. It ain't fair. You were a great champion. Yes, Monica. You were a great champion, Monica.

00:33:42 - 00:33:43 | Unknown:

I am Monica.

00:33:43 - 00:33:45 | Speaker 1:

I am moving on.

00:33:47 - 00:33:52 | Speaker 2:

Monica, that was crazy. And Monica, my prayers and our prayers for your mother.

00:33:52 - 00:33:53 | Speaker 1:

Thank you so much. Thank you.

00:33:53 - 00:33:58 | Speaker 2:

We hope that everything's good. Our prayer is that this guy's a good guy. We got to hope. How long has Leroy been in the life?

00:33:59 - 00:34:01 | Speaker 1:

Just like three and a half years. Okay.

00:34:01 - 00:34:06 | Speaker 2:

All right, Leroy. You passed the three and a half year point. We like this. Did we do a background check on him at all?

00:34:06 - 00:34:09 | Speaker 1:

Well, he worked for the government at one point. Oh!

00:34:10 - 00:34:12 | Speaker 2:

Watch out. James Bond over here.

00:34:12 - 00:34:14 | Speaker 1:

If he's good enough for them, he's got to be good enough for them.

00:34:14 - 00:34:30 | Speaker 2:

All right. All right. Well, we love you so much. We got a nice prize for you. Thank you, Leroy. Lydia's going to set you up. What an awesome time. It's Mojo in the mornings. Five at 6.55. What a great camp. Detroit. W-S-N-X. This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:34:31 - 00:34:32 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

00:34:33 - 00:35:00 | Speaker 2:

Live. All right, it's Mojo in the Morning show. Not a good weekend for the Tigers this weekend. The Tigers ended up getting swept by the Seattle Mariners. Huh? How did that happen? You know what it is? They had all-star break. That was their kind of thing. They're into the all-star break now, and they've got four guys going to the all-star team. and they just announced that they're all

00:35:00 - 00:35:04 | Speaker 1:

They're going to have three starters, too, including the starting pitcher in the All-Star game.

00:35:05 - 00:35:19 | Speaker 2:

It may not be a bad thing that we got swept, though. I trust the Internet, but I didn't verify this story. But the last time I want to say we won the championship in 84, that year we also got swept by the Mariners. Oh, really? So it could work out in our favor.

00:35:19 - 00:35:22 | Speaker 3:

God, who remembers these statistics? It's so crazy to me.

00:35:23 - 00:35:25 | Speaker 2:

In their underwear in their mama's basement.

00:35:25 - 00:36:55 | Speaker 1:

something kind of big happened though at the uh at the game on friday night uh and it actually is very funny because it brings up then something that happened yesterday that our boss witnessed at the game and i want to bring this up with our listeners on friday night at the game uh former nhl all-star and usa olympic superstar ryan kessler who is a friend of uh of our show and a friend of mind was at the game with I think he had like 20 of his family members that came in town so he basically was hosting like all this family he's from Livonia Ryan's a local guy really good guy kind of a kind of an a-hole on the ice but a nice guy in person great family guy so they go to the game and he and his wife Andrea host their family members and they buy tickets out in the bleachers in the outfield and the Mariners ended up just destroying the Tigers and they were hitting bombs all night long well one of them went to the area where those guys were all sitting and ryan kessler caught the home run ball with one hand and grabbed it from his bare hands and then threw it back into the uh the field of play afterwards is that bad no it's basically you saying i don't want it i don't want a souvenir from another team uh when i say is it bad i guess no it's not it's It's not illegal, like masturbating on an airplane.

00:36:55 - 00:36:56 | Speaker 2:

It's frowned upon.

00:36:56 - 00:37:02 | Speaker 1:

It's frowned upon. But he did it, and it was actually hysterical because people recognized him when he did that.

00:37:02 - 00:37:07 | Speaker 3:

Deep left field. He's done it again. Are you kidding me?

00:37:09 - 00:37:16 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yeah, it stunk. And then, look at this guy.

00:37:17 - 00:37:18 | Speaker 2:

This guy said, I don't want that.

00:37:19 - 00:38:23 | Speaker 1:

Right back. The best, though, is he's wearing a white T-shirt. He's got his muscles blowing out. He's got his hat backwards. He grabs it with one hand. He throws it back in with a scowl on his face. So it went viral because people started recognizing him and going, I think we know who that guy is. He's a professional athlete. So that happened on Friday's game. Tony Travato, our boss, went to yesterday's game, and this is where the topic comes into play. Tony was sitting also in the same area. It's good to see Tony Travato and Ryan Kessler getting real people seats, you know, and not sitting in the boxes, right? Not sitting in the rich people seats like Wes and Lydia did the other night in those priority waste seats that were there. Well, Tony was sitting behind two guys, and I sent this picture to you guys in my prep. Look at these two guys, Shannon. This is priceless stuff. These two guys at the game, and they're sitting there right by Tony Travato. And look what they got on their hands.

00:38:23 - 00:38:24 | Speaker 3:

Oh, their gloves.

00:38:24 - 00:38:34 | Speaker 1:

They're wearing baseball gloves. Yeah. Classy. Grown men. Grown men. Two of them together. Look at that. One wearing a Kirk Gibson 23 jersey. The other one wearing a...

00:38:34 - 00:38:40 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so is that frowned upon for grown men to have gloves? 29 jersey. I know a lot of kids. I see a lot of kids when I go to games have them.

00:38:41 - 00:38:49 | Speaker 1:

I don't think that you as a grown man can go to a baseball game with a glove. Unless you have a child with you. And there was no child with these guys.

00:38:50 - 00:38:59 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I don't go to that many baseball games, so I'm not sure of the etiquette, so to speak, but I could see where it could be a little weird.

00:38:59 - 00:39:12 | Speaker 3:

It's definitely a kid thing. I don't find it weird because I feel like they're just hardcore baseball fans unless there's a kid nearby and they catch a ball and don't give it to the kid. And they keep it for themselves. Then I have a problem with it.

00:39:12 - 00:39:17 | Speaker 1:

Well, that's funny because then Ryan caught that ball and his kid was sitting next to him. He could have given it to his kid.

00:39:17 - 00:39:20 | Speaker 3:

Okay, I didn't know that.

00:39:21 - 00:39:43 | Speaker 1:

He actually said to me, he goes, I was protecting Kinsley from getting hit in the face. That's what he said. I said, now you're a super dead. Was Kinsley even sitting on that side? I don't know. I didn't look at the video that close. But I think that if you're a guy going to a game, like if you were dating, if you're single, actually, let's ask the single girls, Bianca and Lydia. And Lydia, you're like super Tiger fan, right? How many games have you been to so far this year?

00:39:43 - 00:39:44 | Speaker 2:

11.

00:39:44 - 00:39:45 | Speaker 1:

11.

00:39:45 - 00:39:47 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. Lydia's a Riley Green fan.

00:39:47 - 00:39:50 | Speaker 1:

Let's be clear. Or is that Bianca then? I thought Bianca.

00:39:50 - 00:40:00 | Speaker 2:

Riley Green fans. Are you really? And the best woman win. Okay, we'll see. They're not throwing those balls back. Say that. Would you guys go to.

00:40:00 - 00:40:13 | Speaker 4:

a game, or would you guys feel it was okay? Like, Lydia, if you were still dating Deez Nuts Derek, or whatever his name was, Dwight, what was the guy's name? If you were dating that guy, would you have looked at him a little weird if he brought his own glove

00:40:13 - 00:40:21 | Speaker 3:

to the game? He would do something like that. And does that give you a bad taste in your mouth? Yeah, it does. And so does everything else that he does.

00:40:22 - 00:40:28 | Speaker 4:

She's going crazy now. I thought he was pulling back. She went from, I really don't want to hurt his feelings to...

00:40:28 - 00:40:30 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, right. Load up and drink.

00:40:30 - 00:40:31 | Speaker 3:

That's what happens when you cross me later.

00:40:31 - 00:40:44 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so wait a second. So you would take him out of the picture. If you went with a guy, you went with the ex-boyfriend, the gas station guy. If gas station guy wore a glove to a game, which is a very non-Keldean man thing to do.

00:40:44 - 00:40:55 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, they would never do that. But I would think that that's fine. If he's doing it, it's fine. There are certain men, like if you're coming in the jersey and you've got the glove and you have like a bobblehead in your left hand.

00:40:55 - 00:41:02 | Speaker 4:

like um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is our telephone number uh bianca how about how'd you

00:41:02 - 00:41:07 | Speaker 2:

feel if a guy was wearing a glove honestly i think it's fine really yeah i don't think there's any

00:41:07 - 00:41:43 | Speaker 4:

issue with that um i think it's fun to me it's a very dad jokey type thing like you know the guys that make dad jokes the the guys who make dad jokes are the guys that wear gloves to the game and go to the game hey guys we're going to the game you know hey kids we're all going let's load up the station wagon. We're all going to get in there. Got mom's minivan. This is my favorite voice of you ever. Sandwiches sandwich. Yeah. We got sandwiches. You got to say it with a G. Sandwiches. Sandwiches. Exactly. Shannon, come on. Tell me. I know. I know. I know the type of guy that Shannon's with. I don't think it's that weird. Wes would never bring a glove to a game.

00:41:43 - 00:41:55 | Speaker 6:

Let me tell you something. I've never seen him bring a glove to a game. I don't even know. I've maybe been to one game with him. But he was the guy who when we went to that rock climbing place in Madison Heights brought all of his own rock climbing gear.

00:41:56 - 00:41:56 | Speaker 4:

Really? He's serious.

00:41:57 - 00:41:58 | Speaker 6:

And at first I was like, that's like bringing

00:41:58 - 00:42:01 | Speaker 4:

your bowling ball to the bowling alley. Yeah.

00:42:01 - 00:42:03 | Speaker 6:

But I don't know. The adults with gloves doesn't bother me.

00:42:03 - 00:42:16 | Speaker 5:

Is it the same thing? I went to the movies twice this weekend. One to see Jurassic Park and the other see Superman. There were grown men in there with Superman t-shirts. Yeah. And Jurassic Park people were like pajama outfits. Is that like the same thing or is this different?

00:42:17 - 00:42:30 | Speaker 4:

That is kind of goofy. Yeah, that's kind of nerdy. I don't know. What do you think, Maddie? Hi. Hi, how are you? Doing fantastic, Maddie. We're talking about guys who bring gloves to baseball games. Your thoughts.

00:42:31 - 00:42:43 | Speaker 1:

So, my dad, whole life baseball fan, when Miguel Cabrera was about to hit his 500th home run, my dad brought a glove to the game, but he made me carry it in.

00:42:44 - 00:42:46 | Speaker 6:

He didn't want to be seen. He was so embarrassed.

00:42:47 - 00:42:48 | Speaker 1:

That's funny.

00:42:48 - 00:42:59 | Speaker 4:

You know what? I kind of like that about your dad. I think your dad's actually smart. He knew that it was something that was kind of frowned upon, but instead, it's kind of like how Shannon buys Happy Meals for herself and not her kids.

00:42:59 - 00:43:04 | Speaker 6:

Wait, no shame ever, ever. If I'm in the car by myself, I will still order one.

00:43:04 - 00:43:41 | Speaker 4:

She'll order that Happy Meal and talk to the kids in the back. You guys want to coke with that? They're not even in there. 844 Mojo Live, texter here says, Mojo, why do you got to always talk smack on guys? By the way, this is a guy, I guarantee you, texting this. There's nothing wrong with bringing your glove to a game. Another texter here, 586, says, what Ryan Kessler did was a total Cubs thing, Mojo. Go Cubs go. That actually happens all the time in Wrigley Field. So I grew up in Chicago. I used to go to games all the time at Wrigley. If an opposing player hits a home run to you and you don't throw it back, they'll throw you out on the field.

00:43:42 - 00:43:42 | Speaker 6:

Really?

00:43:42 - 00:43:45 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. All their fans don't play. What's up, John?

00:43:46 - 00:43:47 | Speaker 1:

Hey, good morning.

00:43:48 - 00:43:49 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. What's going on?

00:43:50 - 00:43:53 | Speaker 1:

How are you? I'm doing okay.

00:43:53 - 00:43:55 | Speaker 4:

John, are you a glove to a game guy?

00:43:55 - 00:43:58 | Speaker 1:

This is not a cell phone. No, absolutely not.

00:43:58 - 00:43:59 | Speaker 4:

What are your thoughts on that?

00:44:00 - 00:44:13 | Speaker 1:

But I'm okay with that. I think that's actually, that's fine. But as a golfer, sometimes I go to Topgolf, and you got golfers with a range finder shooting the distances. Come on. Wait, what is this? A range finder.

00:44:13 - 00:44:38 | Speaker 4:

You know what a range finder is? I don't. It's basically in golf. If you're out on the course, you use this range finder. It's like a binocular that will tell you how far the hole is. It catches the flag. So he's telling us that you've been at Topgolf. We've all been there together. At Topgolf, guys bring range finders. I've seen guys bring their own golf clubs, which I think is weird. I've never seen a guy pull out a range finder, though, John. That's horrible. I'm cool with that. No.

00:44:38 - 00:44:41 | Speaker 6:

No, that's just like a for fun place.

00:44:41 - 00:44:47 | Speaker 5:

See, but that's the thing, though. If I'm not out there for fun, I'm out there trying to work on my game, and I want to make sure I'm hitting a certain distance.

00:44:47 - 00:44:52 | Speaker 6:

Nobody's had Topgolf working on their game. Why not? You are there drinking a beer with your buddies.

00:44:53 - 00:44:56 | Speaker 5:

The rangefinder guy is working on his game. He wants to make sure he's hitting the right distance.

00:44:56 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 4:

You know what that would be like? The analogy of that?

00:45:00 - 00:45:10 | Speaker 3:

is the guy that brings his Crayola crayon set to the restaurant that has kids, you know, little papers that you can call it. They don't have the fine tips. What's going on, Kimberly? How you doing?

00:45:11 - 00:45:13 | Speaker 4:

Good. How are you guys?

00:45:13 - 00:45:17 | Speaker 3:

We're doing okay. We're talking about the guys at Tigers games that bring their own gloves.

00:45:19 - 00:45:25 | Speaker 4:

Well, I think that's okay, but I was calling to say, you guys, you're not giving our Tigers enough credit about the All-Stars. We have more than four.

00:45:25 - 00:45:27 | Speaker 3:

How many do we have? We each. Talk about it.

00:45:27 - 00:45:35 | Speaker 4:

Six. So we have four starters, and we have six total, plus our bad boys even going. Oh, you know why?

00:45:35 - 00:45:37 | Speaker 3:

Because A.J. Hinge is the manager, too, right?

00:45:38 - 00:45:39 | Speaker 4:

I don't think that.

00:45:39 - 00:45:48 | Speaker 3:

No, I think A.J. Hinge, isn't it always the manager of the two first-place teams? Get the managers, or no? Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe that's not how it is.

00:45:48 - 00:45:51 | Speaker 4:

I think that's the World Series. No, no.

00:45:52 - 00:46:01 | Speaker 3:

So it's the coaches from last year's World Series that coached the game? So it's the Dodgers? It's the Googles. I don't Google that whole thing. Who are all the Tigers players?

00:46:02 - 00:46:15 | Speaker 4:

Well, we have Gleyber Torres, Riley Green, Javier Baez, and then Scooble are all the starters. And we have Zach McKinstry, Casey Mize, and then the Batboy.

00:46:15 - 00:46:21 | Speaker 3:

Wow, I didn't know Casey Mize made it. That's awesome. 97 won the ticket. We'll be back right after this.

00:46:21 - 00:46:27 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so the coaches are whoever coached last year's World Series. The Yankees coach and the Dodgers coach

00:46:27 - 00:46:52 | Speaker 3:

Okay, well next year A.J. Hinge will be the manager of the All-Star team for the American League What's going on, Keith? You know, real men don't need to bring a glove They just catch the ball with their hands like I've done before That's exactly how Kessler did it, right? You gotta use your old, you know, the bearer You gotta do it like they do it when Babe Ruth was playing They didn't wear gloves, did they? They didn't even have helmets back then

00:46:52 - 00:46:55 | Speaker 2:

It was drinking fifths in the seventh inning.

00:46:56 - 00:47:54 | Speaker 3:

Do you know how tough your hands have to be to have a ball that is hit that hard? I mean, that home run ball. I mean, that's unbelievable. Callous stuff. Can I tell you something? It doesn't, though. I tried to text Ryan Kessler. If you ever see his hands, I'm going to see if I can get a picture of his hands. He's got, like, pinky fingers that, like, stick out in, like, crazy directions and stuff like that. But sometimes I look at them and I go, are you holding a glass holding your pinky out? And then I realize it's his pinky. You know how people hold a drink and they do everything? Keith, you're a man's man. I wouldn't do it. If a ball came to me, I'd be the dad that dove out of the way and let his kid get hit in the schnoz. You know? Oh, man. Well, hey, Mojo. Go Cubs go. Go Cubs go. Yes. That's the great. By the way, that is still for any team. That is the greatest song ever. that they play at the end of games when the team wins. Go Cubs, go. We need something like that with the Tigers.

00:47:54 - 00:47:56 | Speaker 2:

Eat them up, Tigers. Eat them up.

00:47:56 - 00:48:00 | Speaker 3:

Or Tigers win again. Do they do that at all? I've never stayed the whole game.

00:48:00 - 00:48:02 | Speaker 4:

They do at the end of the game. Do they?

00:48:04 - 00:48:21 | Speaker 3:

Ever, ever, you've never stayed until the end of a game? I've never. I don't think I've. No, I have. I stayed when Maglio Ordonez got us to the World Series. I was at that game. I stayed the entire time because it was too exciting. But honestly, I'm usually trying to beat the traffic guy.

00:48:21 - 00:48:21 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:48:21 - 00:48:24 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. And I'm definitely the guy that brings a glove to a game.

00:48:25 - 00:48:33 | Speaker 1:

So you got to go check those out at Gordon Chevrolet. mojo in the mornings dirty on the 30 shannon with what's trending in the dirty on the 30

00:51:03 - 00:52:08 | Speaker 1:

what's going on shannon well i'm going to start off with a heartbreaking camp mystic update from texas as rescue efforts continue parents are starting to receive letters that their daughters wrote and sent before these catastrophic floods took their lives i mean can you imagine getting a letter in the mail from your daughter who is no longer here the july 4th floods claimed at least 27 young lives from mystic including campers and college-age counselors still several are missing unaccounted for mindy mcknight was sharing her story about how she received two letters from her daughter paisley after the camp mystic flood the letters that had obviously been written before the tragedy and she said the moment that she opened them was just heartbreaking um and she just said it's it is so tough it's so tough for your daughter to be gone and you read something that she wrote when she was very much still here wow awful so sad to me that there are still so many individuals who are missing not just camp mystic campers but in people who were in that

00:52:08 - 00:52:39 | Speaker 2:

area we also had uh some more bad weather issues uh during the overnight uh there was more big storms that are coming their way and then this week we're getting lots of flooding i don't know if uh you were out and about at all on saturday but saturday the rain that happened in the afternoon was like torrential and it only would lasted maybe 45 minutes to an hour but we they say that in the one hour period of time that we got rain was more rain than in some weeks that

00:52:39 - 00:52:48 | Speaker 1:

we've gotten last year it was weird that sky was so dark i went around my house turned on all my lights and then like an hour later it was bright and sunny again yeah we had an event at a new car

00:52:48 - 00:53:00 | Speaker 3:

Car wash, ill car wash, like on my own road. It was a beautiful event. Tigers, excuse me, Lions, mask got pulled up. It was an amazing event. All of a sudden, dark, rain, pouring.

00:53:00 - 00:53:10 | Speaker 2:

Couldn't see a thing. Had to close up early. You know what? That's the reason why we had rain. You had the event at the car wash. Anytime I get my car wash, it rains right after you. Yeah, this is so true. Could have been it.

00:53:11 - 00:54:06 | Speaker 1:

All right, Justin Bieber has agreed to pay his former manager, Scooter Braun. We know that name. $31.5 million as part of a financial settlement. $26 million of that, excuse me, was part of the advance that was owed because of the canceled 2022 Justice Tour. It was the amount that Scooter and his company paid Justin as an advance for that tour. And then the tour got canceled. He never saw that money. So that was a sticking point. Bieber also going to pay Scooter $5.5 million for unpaid commissions. And then I saw, too, over the weekend, Scooter commenting on Justin's album that he dropped on Friday, Swag. Was he positive or not? He was very positive. He called it the most authentic album that he feels like Justin has ever put out. He said it was beautiful, raw, truly him, and just said, I'm happy he released it without a lot of promotion, like with very little warning. And he said he's still incredibly proud of Justin and very impressed with the album.

00:54:07 - 00:54:43 | Speaker 2:

We premiered and played all the music on Friday, but all through the weekend, we were kind of spicing it up in there and playing the music on the iHeart app and, of course, on our radio stations and i tell you that the response from listeners was way more positive than what friday morning's response was from all of us i think we were shocked to hear bieber's music and we're none of us you know we weren't blown away by it but honestly as the weekend went on i started really liking the songs a lot more if you listen to the lyrics of a lot of the songs there was a lot to them especially knowing all the stuff that he's been going through

00:54:43 - 00:54:51 | Speaker 3:

Some people online were also saying That this album was just a set up to a larger Pop album that he's going to be coming out with Potentially by the end of the year

00:54:51 - 00:54:58 | Speaker 2:

I want a tour I want jingle balls Or maybe a surprise guest at the iHeartRadio music festival

00:54:58 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh my god I would die

00:55:00 - 00:55:19 | Speaker 6:

I would die. Seriously, you'd have to pick me up off the ground. All right, the final vote for Love Island USA Season 7. Spoiler alert if you don't already know this, but I don't know how you don't already know because it's everywhere. Selected Amaya and Brian as the winners of the show this season. They won the $100,000 cash prize. I haven't watched Love Island.

00:55:19 - 00:55:30 | Speaker 5:

Is it worth watching? I know now you know who the winner is. Some people be into it heavy. Is that a show that, can you watch like those competitive shows after the fact or do you have to watch them live when it's going on?

00:55:30 - 00:55:31 | Speaker 6:

Well, I mean, you already know who wins.

00:55:32 - 00:55:32 | Speaker 5:

Really?

00:55:32 - 00:55:37 | Speaker 6:

Although I always like to know who wins the Bachelor Bachelorette before so I can kind of, like, follow their journey, but I don't know.

00:55:37 - 00:55:52 | Speaker 4:

I've seen some people talking about how Fenty Beauty commented on that girl, Amaya, Amaya Papaya, because I guess they don't have their phones when they go on this island. Correct. So they commented on the picture saying, when you get your phone back, check your DMs. Oh, maybe they want her to model or something. Yeah, she might be a new face or something.

00:55:52 - 00:56:17 | Speaker 6:

Reunion date also announced that is dropping Monday, August 25th. And lastly, Superman, the big movie at the box office over the weekend, opened with $123 million in the U.S. and Canada. It is the first DC title to surpass $100 million in its opening weekend since Wonder Woman did that back in 2017. So Superman number one, Jurassic World rebirth number two, and F1, the movie coming in, and third.

00:56:17 - 00:56:28 | Speaker 5:

Have we checked on the whereabouts of Jay Towers, one Jay Towers? Is he on a sabbatical? It's just like a thing, a moment for him, like where he, when a movie comes out like

00:56:28 - 00:56:29 | Speaker 6:

this, he takes a few days off.

00:56:29 - 00:56:37 | Speaker 5:

I mean, that guy, every weekend I'm watching his social media and he is doing some Superman stuff. It's incredible. I just rewatched Man is Steel.

00:56:37 - 00:56:38 | Speaker 4:

I forgot he was in that movie.

00:56:38 - 00:56:39 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Yeah.

00:56:39 - 00:56:40 | Speaker 4:

A reporter or something like that.

00:56:40 - 00:57:02 | Speaker 5:

Well, and he also is like best friends with the originals, all the originals and stuff. And they go out and they do autograph signings. And people ask Jay nationally for his autograph because they know him as one of the world renowned you know superman i don't know what do they what do they call the people that are like aficionados documentary i don't know he like documents historian like a historian yeah the

00:57:02 - 00:57:07 | Speaker 4:

movie is incredible though if you haven't seen it go see it could we ask could we ask the uh like

00:57:07 - 00:57:20 | Speaker 5:

00:58:47 - 00:58:50 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it's one of those camps, though.

Rising tales of American influence on the world stage and in ordinary people's lives all across the globe.

01:00:06 - 01:00:11 | Speaker 2:

We have this ability to export our story and a lot of people have bought it.

01:00:11 - 01:00:13 | Speaker 3:

I feel like the American dream is alive but not well.

01:00:14 - 01:00:20 | Speaker 1:

From the BBC, it's the United States at 2.50. Listen wherever you get your podcasts or find us on YouTube.

01:00:21 - 01:00:43 | Speaker 3:

Dreaded having to go to this camp, partially because he wanted to spend more time with me because we're doing one week on, one week off. And now, you know, with this job, I can't take him. So spending less time with him. But the other half is that he enjoyed spending his nights up on roadblocks, talking to his friends and stand up till 5 a.m. And his camp is like 9 to 5. Oh, so it's a day camp. It's not a sleepover. It's a holiday day.

01:00:44 - 01:00:59 | Speaker 2:

When you have Josiah for the summertime, do you always feel like you have to like make every day like a field trip when you're a kid? Because I remember when the kids were off for the summer, Chelsea didn't want them just sitting around doing things. So I would take him to games or we'd go to movies or do things like that. Are you doing any stuff like that?

01:00:59 - 01:01:08 | Speaker 3:

For sure. I mean, we went kayaking, of all things. I saw the pictures. I saw those pictures. That was a good time. That's something I've never done, something he's never done.

01:01:09 - 01:01:11 | Speaker 2:

Did you just take him to a show, too, like a Broadway show or something?

01:01:11 - 01:02:02 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, we took him to the Fresh Air Theater to see The Wiz. And I thought it was going to be like this moment of like, Joe liked Wicked. I'm like, okay, let's show him kind of what started it all. And, you know, The Wiz is like, it's the cooler version of The Wizard of Oz. You know what I'm saying? It's got some hip-hop in there. It's the old Michael Jackson vibe. Move on down. You feel me? And then when I was in high school, the whole thing. So I take Joe. I'm thinking this is going to be something we can share and experience, and he's going to have fun. He slept through the whole damn thing. Oh, no. I'm like, this is the biggest waste of money of my whole life. You get good seats. You ride on the end. We're going to have this amazing time. It's the Wiz. And he literally is doing this before they even start. And you try to wake up your child. You know what I'm saying? Like, get up. Get up. It's about to start. Wake up in two seconds. They pull over. They hit you. So this is the biggest waste of money in my entire life.

01:02:02 - 01:02:08 | Speaker 2:

Was he 12? Yeah. Why would you take a 12-year-old to a Broadway show? Oh, my God.

01:02:09 - 01:02:11 | Speaker 1:

He's totally the type that would love it. Right. What are you talking about?

01:02:11 - 01:02:14 | Speaker 2:

No, because the kids don't want to see that stuff.

01:02:14 - 01:02:17 | Speaker 1:

Dude, I've taken Lou since she was four, and she loves it.

01:02:17 - 01:02:25 | Speaker 2:

And you know what? She loves it for the candy and the snacks that they have. That, too. That's all that they want.

01:02:25 - 01:02:26 | Speaker 1:

It's all part of the experience.

01:02:26 - 01:02:28 | Speaker 3:

We're trying to build a well-rounded individual.

01:02:29 - 01:02:29 | Speaker 2:

Or something.

01:02:30 - 01:02:44 | Speaker 3:

We always go to Imagine. We just did the kayak. We had Zap Zone all the time. You got to throw a little theater in there. Agreed. A little live performance. Sing, dance, curtains, costumes. I thought this would be a good time. Don't worry. He just want to sit on the couch and watch Invisible.

01:02:44 - 01:02:48 | Speaker 1:

That's because this grown adult to my left falls asleep during every Broadway show.

01:02:48 - 01:03:07 | Speaker 2:

Seriously, you know what it is? going to one of those shows is like going to you ever see they have it at airport Detroit Metro Airport, the sleep area there's like a place you can go to and just lay down and sleep if you want to. That's what I call going to the Fisher Theater or one of those other theaters.

01:03:08 - 01:03:13 | Speaker 3:

I love going. I'm taking Shannon next time. I'll go with you. I'll take Joe to your house. Josiah can hang with me.

01:03:14 - 01:03:48 | Speaker 2:

Josiah and I will be like, I don't know we'll go grab McDonald's. You know what kids like? the honestly the the thing that the kids like they like going to my kids used to they used to love just going into GameStop but you know I know nobody does games at GameStop anymore they would we would spend an hour and a half to two hours after work every day sitting in a GameStop with them walking around that store or bring them to uh I'm trying to think the mall or Dave and Buster's or something like that when we would go to the mall we would go right to Spencer's the kids would go

01:03:48 - 01:03:52 | Speaker 1:

into the spencer store yeah lego store right to the corner where the adult toys were

01:03:52 - 01:03:57 | Speaker 2:

those kids or target you know i was just a kid would rather be a target facts you'd say

01:03:57 - 01:04:07 | Speaker 3:

anytime i got lost in a target or any of those type of stores my mom knew to come to the electronics section and i would be over there playing the free games what was the biggest

01:04:07 - 01:04:11 | Speaker 2:

waste of money you ever spent on your kids and the dumbest the dumbest thing that your kids ever

01:04:11 - 01:04:27 | Speaker 1:

just like wasted money with can i tell you mine please so when both of the kids turned it was either four or five for their birthdays their dad and i took them to disney world to celebrate because that was like the thing and when it was time something is in my throat today you guys i'm

01:04:27 - 01:04:32 | Speaker 2:

so sorry it's so annoying do one big one click click that it's annoying me it has to be annoying

01:04:32 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 1:

you my apologies so it's smith's turn lucy had a great time when we took her it's smith's turn and we go to the Magic Kingdom. They've got Toy Story Land or World. I don't know what they call it. And Disney, I mean, you know, like you save for this. It's not cheap. And he decided that he was scared of rides and wasn't going to go on any.

01:05:00 - 01:05:16 | Speaker 2:

And I looked at his dad. I'm like, I want to cry right now. We spent so much money on this ticket to come today. And the more that you try to get him on rides, the worse. Yeah, I'm scared. I'm scared was every, all day. I'm scared. I'm scared. I'm like, oh, my God. So he's just basically here to walk around.

01:05:17 - 01:05:29 | Speaker 3:

We used to have listeners that would call us up and tell us that they would take their kid to the little corner, you know, you know how they have on weekends, the carnival. And they would tell their kids we're going to Disney. Their kids knew none the wiser.

01:05:30 - 01:05:34 | Speaker 2:

that's what you do now i'd be cool if my kids said i was scared to go on those rides because

01:05:34 - 01:05:39 | Speaker 3:

i'm scared too you got a better chance of getting hurt on those april what's up it's mojo in the

01:05:39 - 01:06:11 | Speaker 6:

morning hi hi good morning guys so kev i just want to let you know it starts to it now starts to begin the puberty hibernation for you and um yeah and that's where you're seeing a little glimpse of it now because you know he's only 12 you said 12 right yeah um yeah he's always seen He's only 12 right now, so you're only seeing a little glimpse of it where they're, like, starting to sleep here and there. And then all of a sudden, one year, they're just going to sleep the entire year away. They hibernate. Five inches, and then you're going to have to buy new clothes at the end of it, too. That's true.

01:06:12 - 01:06:27 | Speaker 3:

They grow like maniacs. I know. They're exhausted. These kids, the longest my kids ever slept was they went to bed, and they went to bed really late. They went to bed, like, maybe at 1 or 2 o'clock in the morning. I think Joe slept until, like, 4 the next afternoon. We thought he was dead.

01:06:27 - 01:06:38 | Speaker 6:

Oh, it's insane. I have, of my five, three of them are boys, and they just sleep the entire, that's all they do. They either sleep, playing baseball or basketball, and eating, and that is it.

01:06:38 - 01:06:47 | Speaker 3:

Yep. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is the telephone number. Text is 95500. Biggest waste of money, Carrie. Hi.

01:06:49 - 01:07:19 | Speaker 5:

Oh, this wasn't the biggest waste of money. I think Kev's problem here is that he didn't address the fact that he's been letting the boy stay up all night. That's true. Like, he should have definitely had him get some rest the night before because he would have loved it. He would have loved the show if he'd have been awake for it. Oh, you might be right. I told him what we were doing. I don't think that night was a 5 a.m. night. That might have been a 2.30 night. Making sure he's rested for something that expensive would have been the way to go. I'm just saying. You're right.

01:07:19 - 01:07:31 | Speaker 3:

You know what you sound like? You honestly sound like everybody's mom there, Carrie. That was so perfect. Thank you for keeping us in track. What's up, Jamie? Hi. Biggest waste of money you spent on your kids?

01:07:32 - 01:07:42 | Speaker 4:

So what about these Fortnite bucks? The fake imaginary skins for Fortnite? Yes. Yes. Horrible, horrible waste of money.

01:07:42 - 01:08:22 | Speaker 3:

You know, Mike, it's funny you talk about that, Fortnite. My kids had the credit card attached. I had to stop it. And then when they got pissed that they weren't attached to the gaming system, this is not my kids, Luke. Then he started ordering pay-per-view movies on Xfinity. All of a sudden, I'd get these alerts when I'd wake up in the morning that he would order like five movies. And I would say to him, how did you watch five movies? He goes, well, I watched like four minutes of the first one. I go, do you watch previews? Insane. I just look at the previews and see what the hell the thing's about. That sounds like, honestly, something that the kids are like, money grows. My dad used to say, money doesn't grow on trees. I've heard that a few times. What's going on, Stephanie? Hi.

01:08:24 - 01:08:29 | Speaker 7:

Hi. I took my son to the circus, and he slept through the whole entire thing. Oh, no. Yeah, no.

01:08:29 - 01:08:34 | Speaker 2:

Pissed. And you're sitting there going, I don't even want to be here. Right. I came here for him.

01:08:35 - 01:08:44 | Speaker 3:

You know what, though? You know what? It's probably a good thing. If you would have saw what those guys were doing at the circus, it would have been a different world for you. What's up, Kirsten?

01:08:45 - 01:09:03 | Speaker 7:

Hey, good morning. I, uh, me and my friend took our 15-year-old to Cedar Point, and we talked them into going on one ride, which was the Gatekeeper, which was probably a bad idea, and they didn't ride any other ride the entire time. And we spent the fast passes. We spent hundreds of dollars.

01:09:05 - 01:09:05 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:09:06 - 01:09:08 | Speaker 3:

That was a very mom thing.

01:09:08 - 01:09:14 | Speaker 7:

I feel that, uh-huh. Oh, yeah. Oh, us moms had fun. We were riding. We rode every ride.

01:09:15 - 01:09:16 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. That's crazy.

01:09:16 - 01:09:17 | Speaker 2:

That's so disappointing.

01:09:17 - 01:09:28 | Speaker 3:

Don't you love when you go to a place like Cedar Point and the first thing the kids want to do is go eat? They want to go get food. It's like we just came here to ride the rides. What's up, Otis? Otis!

01:09:28 - 01:09:29 | Speaker 1:

Temptation. Good morning.

01:09:29 - 01:09:30 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

01:09:31 - 01:09:34 | Speaker 1:

Not much. My son wasted money at Kalahari.

01:09:34 - 01:09:36 | Speaker 3:

Oh, at the candy shop or what?

01:09:37 - 01:09:40 | Speaker 1:

Nope, just sat in a wave pool for two days and was scared of every other act.

01:09:40 - 01:09:42 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. It's a thing.

01:09:43 - 01:09:44 | Speaker 1:

Can he say good morning?

01:09:45 - 01:09:50 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Good morning. Good morning, buddy.

01:09:50 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 3:

Hey, I'm not, you know what? I'm like you. I don't like that. I don't like going to these wave pools, Mini Otis. Pool time.

01:10:00 - 01:10:03 | Speaker 1:

Come on, guys. Hey, Miniotis on the phone. Hey, wait, wait, wait.

01:10:03 - 01:10:12 | Speaker 4:

What's your name? What's his name, Otis? Oh, he hung up the phone. He's Miniotis. Miniotis on the phone.

01:10:12 - 01:10:22 | Speaker 3:

Miniotis. Call us. Texas. Find us on social media. At Mojo in the Morning. It's not hard to reach out to us. And if you really loved us, you join the show now. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:10:23 - 01:10:42 | Speaker 4:

844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. Text is 95500. It's Mojo in the Morning. uh shannon i didn't even know you had a sober friend i know right i'm thinking every time i i will see shannon's like girls nights and stuff oh there's bottles of wine on the table i mean

01:10:42 - 01:12:26 | Speaker 2:

seriously but yeah that's very that is has always been very normal for us but something is happening in my group of friends and i think it's happening on a very broad level level excuse me everywhere lately, I'm seeing it's like a movement of people trying to be sober or at least not drink as much as we have all been drinking. I'm lopping myself into this because you all know I love a good glass or five of wine. Everybody in my group of friends lately, for the most part, is on a sober kick. And I think it started when one of my girlfriends was diagnosed with breast cancer back around the holiday and obviously she couldn't drink and she was always kind of like the she's like the the life of the party friend and so she would yes she was always the one that we would kind of like rally with and not that we all stopped drinking because she wasn't drinking but i think everybody in our group of friends stopped drinking less and then graduation season is i feel like now kind of ending but it's been started drinking less instead of stop drinking yeah he started drinking less. Sorry. And then graduation season happened. And I feel like a lot of my friends had so many different graduation parties to go to and were drinking a ton at the graduation parties and then had mega hangovers the next day. So it's not like a sober October. It's like, we all got together the other night and normally it would be a night where we open a couple of bottles of wine and hang out on my friend Carrie's back patio. And instead, every single one of us had a no-hito, no alcohol. And it was just, it was one of those moments where I looked around and went, this is not normal for my group of friends. You know, what's interesting is I think

01:12:26 - 01:12:34 | Speaker 4:

that, uh, mocktails have made it more, uh, prominent for people to, uh, to do their thing

01:12:34 - 01:13:00 | Speaker 2:

like that. Yeah. It's such a, I keep using the word movement because I feel like that's what it is more and more people. And look, I'm not saying I'm, that is going to be me. I, I literally had glass wine this weekend but um it's definitely i feel like we're moving towards you know those sorts of nights versus having was the vibe the same um i mean not the same but it's still fun

01:13:00 - 01:14:08 | Speaker 4:

so fun yeah absolutely i uh was just recently on that bourbon tour yeah and we were down in louisville and the guy who was from um god what was uh what the heck is it uh it's one of the one of the bourbon companies i forget that we were with i can't remember which one it was give me a second i could i could do my cabin impersonation of well along wells um you'll think so no but he no i mean i know the thoughts i don't want to give him i was going to give him credit said that alcohol sales are way down right now and the reason alcohol sales are way down is because of um uh weed and the uh the more more they said that more people and it's not the younger end it's everything even people that are you know our age are not doing um booze as much as they used to yeah and booze sales are way down right now because people are finding themselves doing more edibles and then the other one is guys are now way into the the uh yeah the zins the the

01:14:08 - 01:14:28 | Speaker 2:

nicotine i will also say and i'm making myself sound old here but this is my reality perimenopause has changed the way that my body um like response to it yes i if i have two glasses of wine kev the next day i wake up i feel horrible yeah it's not worth it to me anymore to do to have any more than

01:14:28 - 01:14:29 | Speaker 4:

Your hangovers are way worse.

01:14:29 - 01:14:33 | Speaker 2:

It is so bad. Yes. It's like I was ripping shots all night long.

01:14:33 - 01:14:36 | Speaker 4:

Heather, what's up? Or I'm sorry, Sarah, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

01:14:37 - 01:14:58 | Speaker 1:

Hey, guys. So I'm 25, and I go line dancing, like, every single weekend. My friends ask me, how do I not have fun with, like, without drinking? Because I don't really drink when I go line dancing. I have a freaking blast because I'm more, like, present in the moment and stuff. Sure. I enjoy watching other people.

01:14:59 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 4:

So.

01:15:00 - 01:15:11 | Speaker 1:

That's funny because of, and I think, honestly, I think everybody's worried about getting DUIs and stuff like that, too. But you can have fun still without drinking.

01:15:12 - 01:15:16 | Speaker 5:

Oh, absolutely. Yeah. Are you doing anything? I drink so much water.

01:15:16 - 01:15:21 | Speaker 1:

Do you do anything? Are you into edibles or anything?

01:15:23 - 01:15:33 | Speaker 5:

No. No. When I'm there, I probably drink, like, 15 glasses of water. You go hard. But I have an absolute blast. It's so fun.

01:15:33 - 01:15:35 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. And you're how old?

01:15:36 - 01:15:38 | Speaker 5:

I'm 25. Yeah. Can I give a shout-out, too?

01:15:39 - 01:15:39 | Speaker 1:

Sure.

01:15:40 - 01:15:45 | Speaker 5:

I'd love to give a shout-out to Rodeo Ryan at Diamondback out in Belleville. There you go. I love him.

01:15:45 - 01:15:50 | Speaker 1:

Yee-haw! We need to go out there and do a little Morgan Wallen with you.

01:15:51 - 01:15:55 | Speaker 5:

Absolutely. But Saturday's the rhinestone dance, so come on out. I'll be there.

01:15:55 - 01:16:08 | Speaker 1:

You ready? Can we, as a show, do a country bar one night? I mean, I'm with whatever. We got to go. We would have so many listeners there. I know we don't play a lot of country, but that would be so much fun to show up one day. What's up, Becky?

01:16:09 - 01:16:10 | Speaker 4:

Becky.

01:16:10 - 01:16:11 | Speaker 1:

How you doing?

01:16:13 - 01:16:16 | Speaker 4:

I'm about to be walking into work. I'm going to be a couple minutes late because I'm talking to y'all.

01:16:17 - 01:16:23 | Speaker 1:

Well, that's okay. We'll give you an excuse, one of those back-to-class notes like your teachers used to give you.

01:16:23 - 01:16:59 | Speaker 4:

Perfect. That sounds great. No, I think it's really good, the whole evolution of mocktails and all of these other things, because I'm a recovering addict. I've been clean for just over 10 years. I don't do anything, so no alcohol, weed, any of that stuff. But if you look at, like, public activities set up for adults, like, out in the community, all that stuff, it all revolves around alcohol 99% of the time. And so for people who don't drink or can't drink or whatever it is, it's really everywhere you go. Like, everything revolves around that.

01:16:59 - 01:17:01 | Speaker 1:

Are there any bars, Becky?

01:17:02 - 01:17:03 | Speaker 4:

What's that?

01:17:03 - 01:17:07 | Speaker 1:

Are there any bars that are just pure mocktail bars that just do mocktails and no alcohol at all?

01:17:07 - 01:17:33 | Speaker 4:

I think one just opened. And I know there was one that in Perrysburg for a while was, but we ended up finding out they were just spinning it that way at first because they didn't have their liquor license when they first opened. But even restaurant menus? But I've definitely seen, like on the coast, like the East Coast and West Coast, people I know who live in those areas, it's really prevalent to find places that are strictly that.

01:17:33 - 01:17:41 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Even restaurants that I've gone to for years and years, I notice all of a sudden have a really big section of like mock-up. Not alcohol. Yeah.

01:17:41 - 01:17:47 | Speaker 1:

You got to adjust to your new customer base. Yep. Thank you, Becky. I appreciate your call. Isabel. What's up, Isabel?

01:17:48 - 01:18:23 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Good morning. Good morning. I was just going to say, I don't know if you're on TikTok doom scrolling as much as I am, But a part of my feed is about the clean girl movement where a bunch of women are scaling back on alcohol and they're creating more like mocktails. And the other thing is, I don't know if you guys have heard of Nowadays, but Nowadays is a THC concentrate that you can make like at-home mocktails with. I have personally not tried it, but everybody online is like raving about it. It's a new like drink of choice.

01:18:23 - 01:18:25 | Speaker 2:

I've never heard of it, but now I'm Googling.

01:18:26 - 01:18:36 | Speaker 1:

The clean girl movement is what Shannon and her girlfriends are doing. It's about time, by the way, for Shannon to be part of this whole thing. We were worried about her. We were going to have some conversations with her.

01:18:36 - 01:18:37 | Speaker 6:

I never said I was not going to not drink something.

01:18:37 - 01:18:46 | Speaker 1:

Kevin needs to join the clean boy movement, hopefully, sometime soon. As soon as you do it, I'm with you. Dee, I show up here. What's up, Dee? Hi.

01:18:48 - 01:18:48 | Speaker 2:

Hi.

01:18:49 - 01:18:49 | Speaker 1:

What's going on?

01:18:50 - 01:19:05 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I was just texting about, agreeing with Shannon about, I feel like perimenopause has turned me into, like, the biggest, like, I can't drink. I can't drink to save my life anymore. It's ridiculous. I'm so hungover, and it doesn't matter what I have either. Yeah. It's wild.

01:19:05 - 01:19:07 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Dee, can I recommend something for you?

01:19:08 - 01:19:10 | Speaker 2:

Is it weed? Because I already do that.

01:19:10 - 01:19:10 | Speaker 1:

What's that?

01:19:11 - 01:19:14 | Speaker 2:

I said, is it weed? Because I already do that. Yeah.

01:19:14 - 01:19:22 | Speaker 1:

No. So will you listen to the podcast that's going to be released today on the We Don't podcast platform that Chelsea and I do, my wife and I do?

01:19:23 - 01:19:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I listen to you guys all the time.

01:19:24 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 1:

So that podcast is about perimenopause. So starting it, like when Chelsea realized that she started it and being full-fledged in menopause, and it basically is, and I'm saying this to you because you probably already know it, get your partners to listen to it. your guys or girls that you're in a relationship with. I learned so much about it. Like some things that Chelsea was telling me that was going on in her life, you know, over the last, you know, years, I had no clue that she was in perimenopause and I had no clue that she was in full-fledged menopause.

01:20:00 - 01:20:41 | Speaker 2:

what it does to your body and why we as guys sit there and go why is why is she acting this way or why doesn't she want to do this or what's going on and you don't realize what it does to you and the effects of things that it does to you from everything from hair loss to the way that your body feels to the pain to the drying out basically and how this is she went I mean she was like full fledged I asked her so many different questions about it I'm going to say this to you they need to teach a class on this crap like i don't know if and if you and if you have doctors that don't sit there and talk to you about menopause uh or or earlier on like to be a 30 year old woman and to be in perimenopause and not realize you're in perimenopause you just think that maybe you're

01:20:41 - 01:20:45 | Speaker 1:

going through anxiety or depression or you're just really irritable and you can't figure out

01:20:45 - 01:20:58 | Speaker 2:

why you want to jump out of your body yes and what and literally why you're jumping wanting to jump out of your body. I'm telling you, Kev, I learned so much crap about this. I am so happy I'm not a woman. I always wanted to be a woman.

01:20:59 - 01:20:59 | Speaker 3:

Wow.

01:20:59 - 01:21:03 | Speaker 2:

I always felt like if I was a woman, I would just be having fun all day.

01:21:03 - 01:21:04 | Speaker 3:

These days you can be.

01:21:05 - 01:21:35 | Speaker 2:

Honestly, I am going to tell you this. I bet you want it. I don't want it. I don't want it at all. After this, I have so much respect for my wife and for Shannon and all the rest of the women in this world. You know, because I know you've also talked about your kind of struggle going through this. But it's great. First off, I had no clue in your 30s you go through this, that this starts and it starts. Yeah, for sure. And it's crazy. It's crazy. The percentage. Chelsea had all these stats, man. She's like the facts queen. And also is talking about different things that you can do to help yourself hormonally.

01:21:36 - 01:21:48 | Speaker 3:

Everybody probably different. Yes. It's based on their genetic makeups. But when you talk about entering your early 30s, is there like one telltale sign? that, like, this is something I'm experiencing, maybe it's related to Perry?

01:21:48 - 01:21:50 | Speaker 2:

Yes, when she said she was going to murder me.

01:21:51 - 01:21:53 | Speaker 3:

That was just Thursday.

01:21:54 - 01:22:16 | Speaker 2:

Listen, I'm going to say this to you. We could do literally, we actually have had this conversation of doing a live version of the We Don't thing, and I said we should just have you do with experts just on menopause. We would sell out the Fox Theater. I will bet you a million dollars that it would be just unbelievable the amount of people that could come forward.

01:22:16 - 01:22:53 | Speaker 1:

And I mean, I don't this we've got so so off topic, but it's so interesting to me because I don't think that a lot of women knew what they were struggling with in this like late 30s, early 40s, whatever, because we're like, we're not going through menopause yet until it got hit with this label of perimenopause. Doctors aren't being taught this in medical school right now. I was talking to a girlfriend of mine yesterday who is an OBGYN and she's like, this is all being self-taught right now. Like we are all learning this as this label got put on it and as it's happening. So it's, it's interesting now that women are like, oh, okay, I'm not crazy. This is actually something.

01:22:53 - 01:23:24 | Speaker 2:

One of the things that Chelsea's mom recommended to her when she was in her thirties, that Chelsea actually said that she didn't do, she wished she would have done was to check all of her levels. Hormone levels. Yeah. As a baseline to show the difference in what your levels will go through, through the forties and into being 50. and what a smart woman her mom was to tell her ahead of time, but she should have forced her to do it, you know? What's going on, Gina? Hi. You want to go back to why people aren't drinking anymore? What's up, Gina?

01:23:25 - 01:23:41 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Yeah, my girlfriends are very similar to Shannon, like what she was saying, how everyone is just kind of taking a step back with it, and I think it's really because myself and several of my friends are on GLP-1s, and we just don't have the desire to drink.

01:23:41 - 01:23:58 | Speaker 2:

Weight loss shots. okay yeah and you know what a lot of you can only have one drink if that so a lot of them are you know a lot of people that are on that's almost uh somebody was telling uh said something to me when i was drinking a less they said i can tell you you're doing the shot based on that so yeah yeah

01:23:58 - 01:24:16 | Speaker 4:

it's when we get together where we used to get together for happy hours we get together and go do like wellness ivs together or go do like a yoga class like it's definitely shifted yeah like my girlfriends and what our habits are now yep it sucks being skinny it was not it does not

01:24:16 - 01:24:36 | Speaker 2:

it's not as fun skinny they always would say skinny tastes good but it doesn't really i don't know it doesn't taste like booze or wine carmen uh knows a bar that is just purely a dry bar and it's a black owned uh bar is that what you're telling me or no yeah yep um the owner her name

01:24:36 - 01:24:58 | Speaker 5:

terry she's amazing and it's called casablanca dry and it's off of gratiot in detroit so it's right down the street oh it is right down the street um on instagram you can follow them there and then the other thing um dr dana braxton does some work with women entering perimenopause and

01:25:00 - 01:25:04 | Speaker 1:

And she does, like, all-natural tinctures and stuff. She's also great.

01:25:05 - 01:25:05 | Speaker 2:

That's awesome.

01:25:05 - 01:25:10 | Speaker 1:

They go to my job a lot for a small business meetup, so I thought I'd plug them.

01:25:11 - 01:25:13 | Speaker 2:

Thank you, Carmen. Appreciate it. Appreciate you listening.

01:25:14 - 01:25:16 | Speaker 1:

Of course. Thank you. Have a good day.

01:25:16 - 01:25:28 | Speaker 2:

Take care. And by the way, for those that are giving up on the alcohol, we have a studio full of alcohol here that is – we'll take it. We'll take whatever alcohol you're not using at home anymore before it goes bad.

I was talking about the podcast I do with my wife called the We Don't Podcast. It releases on Mondays, and today is another one of those podcasts. We kind of get into this a little bit on the podcast, but we're going to get into it even more on the radio right now. And that thing I want to get into is I have like a weird thing going on with Chels and I right now. And the weird thing is, and I don't know what it is, maybe I'm just so clingy because I, I don't know, my wife looks great and I feel like I don't look as good to be with her. She's like the trophy wife with the non-trophy. I give her tons of compliments. Like anytime I am with Chelsea and I've been spending a bunch of time lately, like we've been kind of hanging a lot lately with each other, I will compliment her on how she looks. And it's gotten to a point, and I don't know if other people have ever experienced this, especially women. I want to hear from women. Can you be over complimented? Can too many compliments be a bad thing? I never thought that this could be the case until Chelsea kind of pulled me aside and basically said, cause she always will. Like at first you would say, Oh, thank you. And then now she's gotten to a point where she's kind of like pushing my compliments off from me. And it was kind of bumming me out. I'm like, why is it that I compliment you and you don't like my compliments, But yet other people will compliment her and she'll be, oh, thank you so much. That's so nice. And I'm like, she likes a stranger complimenting her more than her own husband. And then I did a little bit of digging on this one. Or actually, she told me what was going on. It really wasn't digging. I just said to her, finally, I just said, you know, it really bums me out. Like, it makes me sad that we've been married a long time. And I feel like a lot of people that I know that have been married a while don't necessarily look like they are doing well in their relationship. I see a lot of times where people over the years will struggle and we have struggled. We have had some bad, bad moments in our, our marriage, but this is actually a good time that's going on in our marriage right now

01:29:03 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 2:

where we're both getting along great. We're both enjoying being with each other. We're not annoying each other or except when I'm complimenting her. And, um, a lot of people that I know or many people that I know like they don't want to be with their spouse like they look for every opportunity to go golfing by themselves or the women look for every opportunity to go hang out with their girlfriends and get away from their their you know husbands and I'm like man we actually enjoy like we'll we will do a hey let's go hang out at a at a bar type thing just the two of us where that never happened before in our relationship and I guess a lot is that we don't have any kids at home right now except for a college son that comes home during the summertime. We're quote unquote empty nesting or in the next chapter of our lives. So Chelsea said to me something that was pretty profound. She actually said there's some times where she will feel

01:30:00 - 01:30:24 | Speaker 3:

that my compliments don't mean anything because for years she has been listening to this radio show and listening to me with female listeners and I always compliment everybody or I'll specifically will compliment specific women. And she's like, I don't feel as special because I have heard you say it to others. And I was like, wow, I never really thought about that. Like the same thing

01:30:24 - 01:30:29 | Speaker 1:

or she just thinks that you're overly complimentary of other, of all women. I think a little bit of

01:30:29 - 01:32:06 | Speaker 3:

both. And I think also the other thing too, is that it's not special to her because I've given it to so many others. So I've given it, you know, I've, I've always, you know, like, listen, I have, if I could redo my entire career, the biggest thing that I would redo is everything that was attached to my personal life. Like I would have held a little bit more sacred, certain things that I said on the radio or stories that I told that were told to me not to say where I thought, oh they'll get over it I'll just say it and it hurt people and the other things was that early in my career and I think you know not as much uh later and lately on the show I don't fawn on women before like a female listener or a celebrity that will come into the studio I don't sit there and talk about how hot everybody was so hot and Chelsea said to me she goes every time that you would sit there and say oh my god this person's so hot or I would do that whole thing which was kind of a guy thing to do like a fraternity boys thing to do and it was not something that she was you know as the as my wife going oh well he thinks that person's hot or that this is hot and I never realized another person's feelings when I would say that I thought I was making somebody feel good by telling them they're hot and while I was doing that I was making my wife away I was Chelsea. Yeah, I was making my wife feel bad. So I'm sorry, Chelsea. I really am. We talked long and hard about this and we're going to do more on this because I think part of my struggles, and this is another thing, I hate to always say, go read my book. You know, like when you have people do that. In our book, they talk, whenever

01:32:06 - 01:32:08 | Speaker 1:

I watch. You'll have to read the book. Whenever

01:32:08 - 01:32:34 | Speaker 3:

I would watch Today Show or Good Morning America and they'd be plugging a book, in the book I talk about, I'm like, just tell us what you're doing. I don't want to read your book. Well, I do this with the podcast all the time. Go listen to the podcast. But I hit upon the fact that I've been really struggling lately after, like you would think this would be the high time of my career, you know, with, you know, getting into the Radio Hall of Fame and stuff. Honestly, I am really, really struggling.

01:32:34 - 01:32:36 | Speaker 2:

With what, though? Just life in general?

01:32:36 - 01:33:26 | Speaker 3:

Turning 55, and this is something weird. The number 55 is weird for me. As much as five is a good, you know, is a lucky number, 55 feels weird because I always used to say, I ain't, I, I'm not going to be doing this radio thing, you know, past a certain age and that certain age is coming up. And I got to a point where I'm starting to realize the end is probably coming near. which is not true well but for me that's always but but and also mortality is that way you know too like i look at we're blessed to have every single day of our lives no matter if we're a you know baby or we're 99 years old when the person's 99 years old and there's you know they're they die and they're like how old are they they were 99 it's like holy crap that's a crazy life but those

01:33:26 - 01:33:53 | Speaker 2:

people i'm sure don't want to die when they're 99 i mean like you started off by saying like you know your marriage has your highs and your lows and just like being a human has your highs and your lows. And I think when we are young, we think of 55, I don't know when you set that number at what point you were in your life, but you think that's like a bajillion years from now and your career is going to be whatever the case may be. And then when you get there, that's when you really understand how life is and your life is far from over, bro.

01:33:54 - 01:34:16 | Speaker 3:

Well, listen, you don't have to say, you know, I'll stay on the topic of the compliments, but that's just the way I'm feeling. Like, you know what I mean? And that's the struggle that I'm going through. And I know, and I actually, I haven't been to Dennis, my therapist in 2025. And I honestly don't know why I thought that it was going to be a great thing to, hey, maybe I won't go all year long. I need to go. It's like, it's like going to get checkups, you know.

01:34:17 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 1:

With a compliment thing, because I'm thinking about this as you were sharing. Wes is very complimentary. He's so sweet in that way. And I think that I know for me, and I want to say a lot of people would feel this way. sometimes when you get compliments from your spouse especially you think in your head well they have to say that they have to say that but when i get it from a random person or a friend or even like my sister that compliment to me is magnified by a hundred because i don't feel like it's somebody that has to say that to me and with wes i kind of always think oh he's just he's being nice he's being nice because he's my husband do you know what i mean so if i'm hearing them if i'm hearing a lot of them right i feel like it's and i know he

01:35:00 - 01:35:47 | Speaker 3:

He is such a genuine person, but in my head, I'm like, you know, but can I tell you, can I tell you something as a husband, I don't have to say that. I want to say that. Like I am literally, I get giddy sometimes and it's stupid to say this because there were times where I couldn't stand Chelsea and I know cause I also knew that she didn't couldn't stand me. It wasn't like it was a one way street at that time. and this there are times now where it's like i cannot wait to to to see her and not in a disgusting way but i like i i'm so appreciative that i have her in my life no but but but i don't have to say the compliments i want to the problem was years of me saying compliments to other people

01:35:47 - 01:35:58 | Speaker 2:

to make them feel good makes my wife not i got two questions first question is have you always been complimentary to her or is it just like something new to the level of which would make

01:35:58 - 01:36:15 | Speaker 3:

her be annoyed it would honestly be something to ask her but i don't i probably i've always done it because i've done it to everybody and that might be the problem maybe maybe i need to be maybe i need to explain to her that now it's more genuine because i thought the way that i received

01:36:15 - 01:36:34 | Speaker 2:

what you were saying is that it's been an uptick in the amount of compliments that you're giving oh i do it all like certainly is so that was my next question because i know y'all doing the shots So my thing was, like, is she feeling like maybe you think she just look hotter now? Is that a thing? I actually brought that up to her because she does look hotter. So in my mind, I'm thinking like her. It's like, oh, he think now I'm fine?

01:36:35 - 01:36:56 | Speaker 3:

That's what's annoying. But no, but here's the thing. She's worked hard at this, and she works out a lot, and she takes care of herself. She eats good food. But I will say this to you, though, Kev. I look back at the early pictures of us together, and I said to her all the time, I don't know what the hell she saw in me because she always has been beautiful you know

01:36:56 - 01:37:13 | Speaker 2:

because that could be in my mind that could be a mind F if all of a sudden I'm with someone who loves me and then I start to quote unquote look better even though you've always known that Chelsea's beautiful if now I'm looking a different way and now all of a sudden the compliments are flooding in how is that making me feel

01:37:13 - 01:38:04 | Speaker 3:

you know what's amazing though and this is something that I will tell you you know when you realize that you are lucky to be with the person that you're with is when you go through a tragic moment, either the loss of a family member or potentially a health, you know, issue with yourself. And I would, I tell this all the time. It was that when I had open heart surgery for that aneurysm, I was the most vulnerable I have ever been. Cause that was the nearest to death I ever thought I was going to be having them crack open. And I will tell you, I know I wasn't prettier she like made me feel like beautiful and i saw her in a totally different light at that time because you know a year or two before that we hated each other you know or didn't or didn't hate we just only appreciate each other for being the parents of our kids i'm here to fall in line

01:38:04 - 01:38:20 | Speaker 2:

but i want to ask you this the level of love that you and chelsea reached after that moment was a level that you had never experienced with her before would you agree with that or i other than getting married right yeah would you go through that again if it meant still obtaining that same

01:38:20 - 01:39:03 | Speaker 3:

level of love you know what that's an interesting question i think if i knew that she wasn't you know with me god i don't think that will ever happen and you know god forbid but i would i would say god you know figure out another way that you can do it you know what i mean i don't know if i want to do open heart surgery again just to have my wife love me yeah but but i know she loves me like that was honestly one of those moments where you know somebody loves you when like chelsea used to say to me you know the most level of love i've ever felt from you was the birth of our kids when you saw me give birth to the kids and the way that you looked at me because some you know to me that was like oh my god i can't believe she was doing this and it's

01:39:03 - 01:39:07 | Speaker 2:

not something you said so no matter was just compliments could ever reach the level of love

01:39:07 - 01:39:13 | Speaker 3:

that she saw in you that day yeah stacy hi it's mojo in the morning we uh you were patient on

01:39:13 - 01:39:49 | Speaker 1:

phone what's going on first of all mojo i just want to say that i see i've been listening to you forever literally forever and i have known you to be one of the most genuine people you care about people you just you have a heart and you put your heart out on the air stop it and um wait who is that what i was gonna say that is my grandson um of course they hear me talking and they come out other room but um like i just released them from prison but um anyway have you and chelsea ever read the five love languages oh yeah yes yes okay because like yours is obviously words of

01:39:49 - 01:39:58 | Speaker 3:

affirmation yeah and hers is not yeah hers hers is acts of service right and sometimes it's you

01:39:58 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 1:

know, it's hard because

01:40:00 - 01:40:23 | Speaker 4:

mine was physical touch yeah well my husband adapted physical touch and now he will not keep his hands off of me which i love i love him i mean seriously it's crazy it's worth i mean we've just celebrated four years married and it's it's worse it's in a good way than it ever was yeah like he will not stop touching me and i love it because mine is physical touch could you imagine as a guy

01:40:23 - 01:40:29 | Speaker 2:

being married to a woman who's their uh love language is physical touch well it doesn't

01:40:29 - 01:40:36 | Speaker 3:

necessarily mean sex i know but still though this would be like hand holding but that's the thing

01:40:36 - 01:40:45 | Speaker 2:

disappointing i i love holding hands what's up robin you love hi okay my husband and i were

01:40:45 - 01:41:14 | Speaker 1:

together 30 years and he would always compliment me to the point where it's like i'd say yeah but you're blind what do you see he was only blind to one eye but it was a joke oh my god and it didn't matter if it was looks or anything but also because we knew each other as teenagers he would say remember that turquoise outfit you wore with those blue shorts and I'm like what he could tell me outfits I wore as a teenager when I was dating his neighbor

01:41:14 - 01:42:05 | Speaker 2:

oh god that's kind of sweet though you know what I you know what's funny about that Robin I had a dream this weekend about one of the first it was one of the first times that chelsea and i decided that we were going to be in a relationship was a fourth of july uh the radio station that i was at we did red white and boom and we had like a concert and stuff like that and i said to chelsea you're not gonna believe this i had a dream literally because we just had fireworks the night before that we were at and that night i had a dream i could remember exactly what chelsea was wearing that night like as weird as it sounds i remember like the clothes that she would wear as a And honestly, if you asked me five years ago about that night, I probably wouldn't have even remembered it. And when I refer back to not five years, but like is longer than that, seven or eight years ago, we were in such a bad place. It was such a bad place. Michelle, what's up?

01:42:06 - 01:42:08 | Speaker 5:

Morning. How are you guys?

01:42:08 - 01:42:13 | Speaker 2:

Are you on a line or are you out in traffic in the middle of with a window so long? Okay.

01:42:13 - 01:42:15 | Speaker 5:

I'm working on the line.

01:42:15 - 01:42:17 | Speaker 2:

Speak fast because it's hard to hear you. Go ahead.

01:42:18 - 01:42:48 | Speaker 5:

All right. No, I just, I get complimented from my fiance all the time. And it's because my insecurity, it's like, I want to believe what he's saying, but I don't. And that's my problem because of my insecurity. But I feel like you probably do that a lot too, because I know the older we get, I'm 50 myself. Like, I just appreciate life a little bit more because you realize how fast it's going, you know? So it's like, you got to appreciate the ones you love and you realize that.

01:42:48 - 01:43:15 | Speaker 2:

And then, so Michelle, Michelle, you say that you, you say that he compliments you all the time, but, but it's because of your insecurity. You can't take it. I think I compliment Chelsea all the time because of my insecurity. Like I think I have, and I think that's, that, that's where there's a problem for me. And that's why I got to get back with Dennis because I feel insecure.

01:43:17 - 01:43:53 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, and he wasn't used to that either with his ex-wife. He did not compliment him and stuff like that. And I am completely opposite. I compliment him all the time. And so, you know, when you give, it's easy to give back to somebody that's feeding into you as well. So, like, our relationship is going to be great because we give each other what we've never had with our, you know, ex-husband and ex-wife. So it works out good, but, you know, I don't know. I love you guys. Love you too. And, you know, you guys are just amazing. You make my day better.

01:43:53 - 01:44:01 | Speaker 2:

Thank you, Michelle. Thank you, Michelle. It means so much. And appreciate you for whatever you're building there. One last one here. Jen. What's up, Jen?

01:44:02 - 01:44:03 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Mojo. Good morning.

01:44:04 - 01:44:05 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. What's going on?

01:44:05 - 01:44:12 | Speaker 3:

So I think, like, to me, it sounds like you always loved her, right? Even, like, when you didn't like her, you loved her.

01:44:12 - 01:44:12 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:44:12 - 01:44:27 | Speaker 3:

But in that heart attack situation, it sounds like being as vulnerable as you were, you gained, like, a greater appreciation for her that you might not have seen before. And you've seen her for, like, who she truly is, and that's why you feel like you love her more because you can really appreciate her.

01:44:27 - 01:44:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh, absolutely. Yeah. I mean, she didn't kink the hose on my ventilation machine. It was amazing.

01:44:37 - 01:44:39 | Speaker 3:

I can tell you everything right there.

01:44:40 - 01:45:15 | Speaker 2:

I'm just kidding, by the way. I didn't go to a ventilation machine. No, you know what it was? Honestly, this is the craziest. The time during my surgery was COVID. She wasn't in the hotel room. So for five, or hospital. Imagine for five straight days sitting there and you are living. literally, who have nobody. Some people may think it's paradise. I'm a social person. I want to be around my family. I felt literally a level of abandonment. And they would FaceTime me every single night. That was the only communication I could have.

01:45:16 - 01:45:17 | Speaker 5:

And it was brutal.

01:45:18 - 01:45:25 | Speaker 2:

It was honestly some of the most brutal time ever. So, all right. We're going to do second date update here on the Mojo in the Morning Show.

01:45:26 - 01:45:28 | Speaker 3:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

01:45:28 - 01:46:18 | Speaker 2:

Second date update, what do we got here? We got Michael and Chase. Oh, I like this. We got two guys that are on the second date update. A little same-sex relationship going on here right now. Michael getting ghosted. Michael, how are you? I've been better, but I'm all right. How are you? Good. How did you guys meet? We met on Grindr. Let me ask a question, because I do not have a Grindr account, no matter what people think. I ask my son this all the time, my son Jacob. On Grindr, is it better because there's more abundance out there than going to Tinder or going to Hinge to meet somebody? Is that why you go there, because it's purely same-sex relationships?

01:46:20 - 01:46:29 | Speaker 3:

Well, not necessarily, but Tinder and Hinge, you have to match with someone. Whereas Grindr, you can just message them, and then you don't have to wait for them to match with you for them to respond. Okay.

01:46:30 - 01:46:36 | Speaker 2:

Easier access. All right, so what happened? You guys went out on one date, two dates, and now that you're not getting called back, what's the story?

01:46:37 - 01:46:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, we went out to dinner, but we did have sex after, so I don't know. It went kind of fast, I guess.

01:46:48 - 01:46:54 | Speaker 2:

The sex or the dinner or the date? The date. Okay. Like the whole thing.

01:46:54 - 01:46:55 | Speaker 5:

The date to the sex.

01:46:55 - 01:46:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Did you anticipate that happening?

01:46:58 - 01:46:59 | Speaker 5:

Like after talking to him on Grindr?

01:47:01 - 01:47:14 | Speaker 3:

No, not really. But I kind of, I think that like I was more open to it because when we talked, it kind of seemed like he was open to shoot your dates and like maybe he was looking for something more serious.

01:47:15 - 01:47:22 | Speaker 2:

And not a one night stand, which is what you're feeling right now. Chase is on the phone with us. Chase, will you say hello to Michael?

01:47:23 - 01:47:28 | Speaker 4:

Uh, hey, hey. Hi. Hello.

01:47:30 - 01:47:36 | Speaker 2:

Chase. How you doing? What's going on? Hey. What is, uh, hey. Uh, what is going on, Chase?

01:47:38 - 01:47:50 | Speaker 4:

Uh, uh, well, you know, it was just, it was a great time. And, you know, I thought it went well. But, you know, it was, it's just sort of complicated.

01:47:51 - 01:47:52 | Speaker 1:

What's complicated?

01:47:53 - 01:48:09 | Speaker 4:

Well, you know, I mean, we hit it off and stuff like that. And, you know, he's just a sweet guy. And I really, I do like him. I mean, it's like, you know, so it's just hard. You know what I mean? It's like difficult. That's all.

01:48:09 - 01:48:10 | Speaker 5:

What's the but here?

01:48:13 - 01:48:30 | Speaker 4:

Well, the truth is I'm still in love with my ex, you know, and it just wasn't the same, you know, with him. And it's not him. It's me, really. That's not just a man. I know.

01:48:31 - 01:48:36 | Speaker 5:

Who is, like, how fresh is this breakup from your ex?

01:48:39 - 01:48:42 | Speaker 4:

It's, okay. So it's about two weeks ago.

01:48:43 - 01:48:46 | Speaker 2:

So it was about two weeks ago. And when was the date, Michael?

01:48:48 - 01:48:50 | Speaker 3:

It was last week.

01:48:50 - 01:49:06 | Speaker 2:

So, do we believe, Chase, no offense, and don't get offended and hang up on us here. It sounds to me like you were cheating on your boyfriend and you decided to go out with Michael and now you're realizing that this is not a good situation.

01:49:07 - 01:49:16 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no, no, no. No, we were broken up. I was not cheating. What it is is, if he wants to brutal on, I thought this would sort of help me get over him.

01:49:17 - 01:49:19 | Speaker 5:

Oh, so you kind of used him.

01:49:19 - 01:49:22 | Speaker 2:

Do you believe that? Shannon, Kevin, Michael?

01:49:23 - 01:49:25 | Speaker 5:

I do. You do? I do.

01:49:25 - 01:49:32 | Speaker 4:

I just think that it kind of sucks that that was the case.

01:49:33 - 01:49:45 | Speaker 5:

Like he knew going in that he was not going in thinking that this could be the potential start of a new relationship. He was going in thinking this is going to help me. Gotcha. It was a very selfish thing. Yeah.

01:49:45 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 1:

um i feel like i kind of believe him but at the same time when he hit us with the it's not me as you thing that kind of sounded a little contrived and a little false but i don't know he still he priced

01:50:00 - 01:50:14 | Speaker 6:

to miss his ex and he won his ex so i get it uh do we think though that he should have said something to michael about this none of his business i think though that you're going to you're you nobody wants to be the rebound i'm saying he he went he went to go get some buns

01:50:14 - 01:50:19 | Speaker 7:

and that's what he got and he's not in there looking for love he's just mad he got played

01:50:19 - 01:50:57 | Speaker 6:

uh 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 the telephone number i'm gonna say this to you people i don't want you to treat this like you would you know treat it special because it's Michael and Chase I want you to treat it like you would treat it if it was a guy doing this to a girl or a girl doing this to a guy I want you to tell me what you think of Chase going in for some when he still has feelings for his ex I personally think Chase what you did was wrong why though because what Chase did he's messing with Michael's feelings Michael you're hurt right yeah it was really

01:50:57 - 01:51:03 | Speaker 3:

messed up and he made it sound like he wanted something real and i had no idea that he he lied

01:51:03 - 01:51:24 | Speaker 6:

he lied i know but he lied to you he lied to you about his intentions that night he went into this thing trying to get over his ex by getting under michael and i think that that's not what exactly michael was wanting and michael how often do you have sex on the first date not very often and i

01:51:24 - 01:51:35 | Speaker 3:

had told him that and i was like i'm not really looking for a hookup i know but that was after we discussed it it wasn't like i was just being crazy like what did y'all discuss did y'all

01:51:35 - 01:51:41 | Speaker 7:

discuss dating and potentially finding love i said i'm not looking for a hookup i'm looking

01:51:41 - 01:51:48 | Speaker 3:

for something more serious um i don't want this to be like a one-time thing and we hit it off No, that's not cool, Kevin.

01:51:49 - 01:51:58 | Speaker 7:

Hold on. What I'm saying isn't cool. I'm just not of the cloth of, I don't do this. I don't do that. I don't do this. And then you do everything you said you don't do.

01:51:58 - 01:52:01 | Speaker 6:

Because he was taken by Chase. When did I say that?

01:52:02 - 01:52:02 | Speaker 3:

No.

01:52:02 - 01:52:05 | Speaker 7:

No, I'm saying you said you don't sleep on the first date and then you woke up in his bed.

01:52:05 - 01:52:07 | Speaker 3:

No, I never said that either.

01:52:08 - 01:52:20 | Speaker 6:

I'm telling you, if this was a woman, you would be defending. And you would, whatever. You would be. Bruce, what's going on? How you doing? How's it going? What are your thoughts, Bruce?

01:52:21 - 01:52:38 | Speaker 5:

Man, I think he lying, man. I ain't going to lie. You know, whether you, whatever your preference is, but I just think he lying. You know, it sounds like Ken said when he each out with that, but it ain't me, it's who, whatever. He lying, man. He lying, bro. Because if that was a man and a woman, come on, a man, I'll be lying all day. He lying.

01:52:40 - 01:52:46 | Speaker 6:

I'm just saying, I'm just saying, he lying, bro. He lying, bro. Come on now. Which one's lying, though? Michael or Chase is lying. Which guy's lying?

01:52:46 - 01:52:52 | Speaker 5:

The guy that caught in and talked about something, it's not me, it's you. That's the guy that's lying.

01:52:53 - 01:53:01 | Speaker 6:

Okay, Chase. That's Chase. That's the guy that's lying. And I agree with you on that, too. Michelle, what's going on, Michelle?

01:53:02 - 01:53:04 | Speaker 1:

I don't think Chase did anything wrong.

01:53:05 - 01:53:05 | Unknown:

Really?

01:53:05 - 01:53:20 | Speaker 1:

I think, no. I think he probably does want to go out on dates with someone else and get over the guy he's not dating anymore. Maybe he thought just going out might help him move on. I don't think he intentionally meant to hurt him when he went out with him.

01:53:20 - 01:53:27 | Speaker 6:

If this was War of the Roses, we'd be busting his ass. Oh, my gosh. You know that. It would be totally a different story. Gianna, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

01:53:29 - 01:53:40 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Mojo. Hi. So I think Chase was a little selfish. He needed to be up front, and then Michael could have made a choice for himself. Yeah. It was a little selfish for Chase to be like that.

01:53:40 - 01:53:54 | Speaker 6:

I still have feelings for my ex, but maybe I'll have feelings for you. Let's go. You know what I mean? Like, just say that. I don't know, Michael, would you have still slapped with him if he said that to you? Absolutely not. Okay, well, there you go. It wouldn't have worked for Chase.

01:53:54 - 01:54:01 | Speaker 8:

Well, because at least then you know what the risk is. Listen to this. I guess you know what the risk is anyway, but he kind of talked a different game.

01:54:02 - 01:54:23 | Speaker 6:

231 says, you don't look for love on Grindr, girl, please. And then listen to this one. This is an almost similar one. 616 says, Grindr is a hookup site. Like, the fact that he ghosted him and didn't just come clean is the problem. That's interesting, because I don't know Grindr at all, but is Grindr the Tinder of gay apps? They say people get married on Tinder.

01:54:23 - 01:54:26 | Speaker 8:

I would just say my best friend Kelly got married from Tinder.

01:54:26 - 01:54:32 | Speaker 6:

Okay, well. So, I don't know. I don't know. Michael, you're heartbroken, right?

01:54:34 - 01:54:36 | Speaker 3:

No, definitely not. I just think it's rude and annoying.

01:54:37 - 01:54:37 | Speaker 6:

Okay.

01:54:37 - 01:54:38 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, I get that.

01:54:39 - 01:54:44 | Speaker 6:

Chase, you and the ex back together again? Are you guys back hanging with each other?

01:54:45 - 01:54:52 | Speaker 2:

No, we're not, actually. But I really learned my lesson on this. And the point is...

01:54:52 - 01:54:53 | Speaker 8:

You need some time.

01:54:54 - 01:55:06 | Speaker 2:

I do. You know, I'm talking to you guys and listening to everybody. And then also... I owe him an apology because it's just a jerk thing to do, and I'm sorry.

01:55:07 - 01:55:09 | Speaker 5:

I like that. Do you accept the apology, Michael?

01:55:10 - 01:55:12 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I do. Thank you. Y'all should go out again.

01:55:13 - 01:55:13 | Speaker 5:

No.

01:55:14 - 01:55:17 | Speaker 3:

In a while. Give him some time. He's being honest.

01:55:17 - 01:55:24 | Speaker 4:

This is the home of the dirty on the 30. Throwback, throwdown. Second date update. And more of the roses. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:55:27 - 01:55:49 | Speaker 5:

Wouldn't that be an amazing thing? we reconnect these guys together all off of his one apology. And they're married in six months. You know what? There's love. I'm loving that. Lydia, talk them into it. 844 Mojo Live, Summer of Cars, Cash and Gas. 95th Caller is going to get qualified to win a brand new loaded 2025 Chevy Trax or $20,000 cash from Gordon Chevrolet. 844 Mojo Live.

01:55:50 - 01:55:52 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the mornings, Dirty on the

01:55:52 - 01:55:57 | Speaker 5:

30. We'll stop for a second and do the Dirty on the 30. We've been commercial free now for more than an hour. What's going on, Chan?

01:55:57 - 01:56:17 | Speaker 3:

Well, so I don't really know this story, Mojo. This was you talking to me about this. I'll be so honest. But it has to do with the Idaho Four and that really- Oh, you don't know that story? No, I know the story, but I know that there was an update and it has something to do with a very famous author named James Patterson, who I'm sure you've heard of before.

01:56:17 - 01:56:21 | Speaker 5:

Yes. So James Patterson has written a ton of movies, a ton of books and stuff like that.

01:56:21 - 01:56:23 | Speaker 3:

And I think he wrote a book about Brian Koberger.

01:56:23 - 01:56:36 | Speaker 5:

So they're coming out with a Brian Koberger book. Remember, Brian Koberger is the guy that went to school, and I think it was like Washington State, and there was a bunch of kids from Boise that lived in the same apartment complex.

01:56:37 - 01:56:39 | Speaker 3:

The same house, and he went in and killed four of them.

01:56:40 - 01:57:22 | Speaker 5:

He killed the four of them. A week ago, this guy pled guilty to the murder of all of them without a trial. The parents of the kids are pissed that the DA did the plea deal because Koberger never had to face all the murders in court and tell the parents what he did and why he did it. Well, now James Patterson, along with another author, have the theory all put together using their murder mystery minds. And they said that Koberger was out after one particular of the students. It was one of the girls that he had a crazy fascination with and a fascination with her family.

01:57:22 - 01:57:35 | Speaker 1:

There was consensus that it was Maddie that Koberger was going for, and the victims' families, I think, would all agree with that. You know, everything points to that.

01:57:35 - 01:57:46 | Speaker 2:

Koberger, the criminologist, had such training for this, and he almost committed the perfect crime. Had he not left the knife sheath, he probably wouldn't have gotten caught.

01:57:46 - 01:57:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so the book is called The Idaho Four, An American Tragedy. tragedy and james patterson and his co-writer interviewed like 350 people who had and some

01:57:57 - 01:59:00 | Speaker 5:

sort of involvement in this crime and i believe maddie's family was one of the families that was the most vocal about the fact that they didn't like when the uh the state attorney or whatever did that don't you think that if if you're a district attorney or a state attorney like you know like we have our attorneys you know here in our counties and stuff don't you think if there's the victims that are there the victims families they should have the right to say you're going to a trial and not going to a trial interesting like this guy obviously they had they had all the dna evidence to lock this guy up off of that they wanted the trial and they wanted everything to go before the court because they wanted to get this guy to have to try to defend himself or explain what was going on and a lot of times they don't get to know the explanation now it's not there's no story right there's no reasoning and now your child he's not gonna talk dead without any kind of uh thoughts of of their death yeah they're probably thinking that that's their closure that they needed now they don't get it well the state the state wants to just get a guilty verdict and move on because they're afraid they'll mess up in court and then get scrutinized

01:59:00 - 01:59:57 | Speaker 3:

for that right yeah you did in other dirty today kid cudi is a married man he tied the knot with woman named lola i'm gonna butcher her name lola sartori i believe she i know she was a fashion designer for louis for louis vuitton for a long time but she's a fashion designer uh they tied the knot in a little teeny tiny town in the south of france nearly two years after getting engaged in japan so big congratulations to him that's how they met too at louis virgil abu actually at the show yeah yeah the father of amin ross saint brown in the dirty this morning for sparking some controversy did you hear this story uh after telling his sons i think both of his sons are He's two sons that are NFL players. He told them that they need to avoid sleeping with white women so they can breed better athletes. John Brown very bluntly says that when choosing a partner, a man should consider compatibility. And that includes physical traits if he wants athletic children. Listen to this.

01:59:58 - 02:00:00 | Speaker 2:

I understand what you're saying. I agree with that.

02:00:00 - 02:00:31 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, you can't be five foot two and want to be a defensive lineman. Right. I agree with you. So, it starts from the beginning. I believe in breeding. You got to pick the right girl and the right guy. If they didn't breed, they can't even ask you the question. It's over. Well, here's what I would say to them. Let's say they came to me and the boy or the daughter is like, let's say the boy is eight years old. Mommy is real little. Daddy's little. Right? Okay, both of them little. Two elephants don't make a giraffe. So I'm looking at it, I'm thinking, okay.

02:00:31 - 02:00:40 | Speaker 1:

He calls it selective breeding. And he says that early athletic discipline and structure, including weightlifting, education, and strict routines, also important.

02:00:40 - 02:00:45 | Speaker 2:

What about that kid from the Dallas Mavericks? That kid's white with two white parents, right?

02:00:45 - 02:00:53 | Speaker 3:

I don't think that's true. I mean, there's plenty of biracial and, you know, white or whatever race you want to do that are pretty athletic and pretty amazingly talented.

02:00:54 - 02:00:54 | Speaker 1:

Tom Brady's parents.

02:00:54 - 02:01:08 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I think what he was saying in that particular clip, like, two small people, like, don't expect yourself to be the white kid that you're mentioning at a place for the Dallas Mavericks. If both of you are 5'5", then you're probably not going to birth a 6'8 basketball player.

02:01:09 - 02:01:12 | Speaker 2:

So does he also mean small black people, too? Because there are some small black people.

02:01:12 - 02:01:40 | Speaker 1:

It's just so funny. Look at Kevin Hart. But do people really think that way? Oh, yeah. If I'm dating and I find the man of my dreams, which I found the man of my dreams. He's 5'8". Together, if we had children, we are not going to, quote, unquote, breed. God, I hate that word. A six-foot-three football player. But I'm not going to throw away this incredible human being who I want to spend the rest of my life with because I'm like, eh, he's not going to give me the kind of kids I want.

02:01:40 - 02:01:58 | Speaker 3:

That sounds amazing. But when you walk into some of these sperm banks, these women are going there saying, I want the guy that's 6'8". I need his education to be this. That's why they have those lists because people in there are picking what they want. Sperm bank's different. Whatever their banks is. They go in there and pick. Just like these women who call in and say, I don't want a guy that's under six feet.

02:01:58 - 02:02:03 | Speaker 2:

Do you think you would have married Wes if you did not have kids, though? Or not looking for kids?

02:02:03 - 02:02:04 | Speaker 1:

Absolutely.

02:02:04 - 02:02:06 | Speaker 2:

So the height would never have been an issue at all for you?

02:02:07 - 02:02:11 | Speaker 1:

Never. Ever, ever. I mean, I'm five feet tall, so everybody's tall to me.

02:02:11 - 02:02:17 | Speaker 2:

Wes, I asked that question for you. I just wanted to make sure that you knew that. That is, I will love you till death do us part.

02:02:18 - 02:02:49 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, Elmo's verified X account. It's got like 650,000 Elmo, as in the red furry creature from Sesame Street. It got hacked yesterday. You guys, the content that was being tweeted was so bad. Very anti-Semitic towards Jewish people. I'm not even going to repeat some of the things that were on there. Lots of derogatory President Trump references. I mean, like some of it was disgusting on the Elmo X account.

02:02:49 - 02:02:52 | Speaker 2:

It wasn't Elmo doing it. Elmo's not...

02:02:52 - 02:03:12 | Speaker 1:

No, all of the posts have been deleted. Sesame Workshop confirmed the hack and just said efforts are underway to regain control of Elmo's account. Do kids care about Elmo anymore? Well, nobody... There's no, like, kid that's on X following Elmo's account, right? But still, it was weird. All right, for all of today's Dirty Ketchup on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app.

02:03:13 - 02:03:46 | Speaker 2:

02:03:49 - 02:04:13 | Speaker 2:

All right. All right. We got it. $20,000. They'll get you a big old fat check over at Gordon Chevrolet. Maybe Mike's got that in petty cash. You remember they used to have it at the radio station. They used to have petty cash, which was basically a little cash box where they would have, like, I don't know, a couple $300 or something like that, like when you had to run out and buy a promotional item or something. They don't have $20,000.

02:04:13 - 02:04:14 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. Yeah, I got a pedicast for myself.

02:04:15 - 02:04:16 | Speaker 2:

Do you really? I like it.

02:04:17 - 02:04:17 | Speaker 3:

I do.

02:04:18 - 02:05:00 | Speaker 2:

Congratulations to you, Gordon Chevrolet. Where do you keep your pedicast? Thank you. All right, so we're doing a contest with Wiz Khalifa. We got a call from Wiz's people. Taylor Gay. They said, hey, Wiz Khalifa wants to hang out with the Mojo in the Morning Show. And so this is actually pretty cool. Said he'd love to hang with you. But he said he wants his biggest fans. So this is the deal. We're doing a contest that Lydia thought long and hard about. What's the name of it, Lydia? Cush and Tell. Cush and Tell. Give it up for Lydia. That's a great name. It's Mojo in the morning.

02:05:00 - 02:05:25 | Speaker 1:

Morning, Cush and Tell right now, kids. By the way, Cush and Tell sounds like people are bringing their weed in and going, well, let me tell you about this. No, Cush and Tell is going to be, we want to know your greatest high moment. What's the best high moment of your life? And then all through the week, we'll qualify people for this. We'll grab like maybe a qualifier or so a day. And then when is it that we have to get the winner by? Friday? Or is that cool?

02:05:26 - 02:05:27 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that works.

02:05:27 - 02:05:29 | Speaker 1:

All right. You eating in the other room right now?

02:05:29 - 02:05:30 | Speaker 4:

No, I'm taking winter info.

02:05:31 - 02:05:32 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. Oh, you're grabbing the one. I'm sorry.

02:05:33 - 02:05:34 | Speaker 4:

She's like, I'm actually working.

02:05:35 - 02:05:57 | Speaker 1:

Right, right. So what we want you to do is this. We want you to call us up and tell us your best high moment. Okay? So best high moment that you ever had. And we got a lot of them. And by the way, we do not condone marijuana usage by doing this contest. But you have to have, of course, had some marijuana usage in order to do this contest. Best high moment.

02:05:57 - 02:06:10 | Speaker 3:

shauna best high moment so my girlfriend said she couldn't get high i took her on the balcony got her high and we spent the next hour looking for her watch which was on her wrist

02:06:10 - 02:06:22 | Speaker 1:

you know it's funny i've had that as a non-high moment like i've had that with my phone yeah i have my phone up down where's my phone i'm talking to somebody on the phone who found the watch

02:06:23 - 02:06:28 | Speaker 3:

Was it you or her? No, one of my other girlfriends who wasn't as high as me or her.

02:06:28 - 02:06:30 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Shawna, hold on. That's a good one.

02:06:30 - 02:06:36 | Speaker 4:

On Asiago with green cheese on both top and bottom. I'd like a little Asiago. Okay.

02:06:37 - 02:06:38 | Speaker 1:

I would like a little Asiago. Yeah.

02:06:39 - 02:06:45 | Speaker 4:

Frankie bacon and cheddar on Asiago with green cheese on both. As long as they're unreal sometimes.

02:06:46 - 02:06:46 | Unknown:

Yum.

02:06:47 - 02:06:47 | Speaker 4:

Barmeco.

02:06:48 - 02:06:48 | Speaker 1:

Yummy.

02:06:49 - 02:06:49 | Speaker 4:

No, one more.

02:06:50 - 02:06:50 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

02:06:50 - 02:06:50 | Speaker 4:

Make it three.

02:06:51 - 02:06:57 | Speaker 1:

Could I get, by the way, could I get Asiago on the side? I have a little bit of lactose intolerance.

02:06:57 - 02:06:58 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God, I didn't even know you guys were listening.

02:06:59 - 02:07:02 | Speaker 1:

Asia, what's up, Asia? Asia, your best high moment.

02:07:02 - 02:07:22 | Speaker 4:

It just happened. So I was at a park. This was down in Louisville, Kentucky, and me and my baby daddy were smoking. And I saw this super cute little duck. So I got out the car to chase the duck or, like, just to be with the duck. And the car was not in park. so it started rolling towards the water.

02:07:22 - 02:07:23 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

02:07:23 - 02:07:29 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. I had to bust my butt and get back in the car, everything. This lady was like, oh, my God, she's super warm.

02:07:31 - 02:07:33 | Speaker 1:

Were you able to stop it? Were you able to do it?

02:07:33 - 02:07:35 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, no, thankfully. Yeah, thankfully.

02:07:35 - 02:07:42 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. That's a great one. That's crazy. I like the watch one. I like that one better, though, I think. So do I. Shauna, what's going on? Your best high moment?

02:07:44 - 02:07:54 | Speaker 3:

So my girlfriend said she couldn't get high, so I took her on the balcony and got her high, and then we couldn't find our watch. We just talked to you.

02:07:54 - 02:08:09 | Speaker 1:

Mojo, keep going. Keep going, I want to see. But now Mojo's high. No, hold on. Are you high? No, no, we just talked to you. Hold on a second. The phone line said it was green that I didn't pick it up yet, so let me go to this one. I'm sorry. My high? That was my high moment.

02:08:12 - 02:08:18 | Speaker 4:

What the hell's going on? Oh, bro.

02:08:20 - 02:08:24 | Speaker 1:

Jordan, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning. Best high moment.

02:08:25 - 02:08:46 | Speaker 2:

First time long time. Hey, Jordan on the phone. But very first time ever smoking the devil's lettuce. Was the day I gave my wife to birth to our oldest son. Are you nuts? Gave him the middle name of Wiz's first name, which is Cameron. Wow. So he's lost in Cameron.

02:08:47 - 02:08:50 | Speaker 1:

Wow. wow, this guy's got to meet Wiz Khalifa, don't you think?

02:08:50 - 02:08:54 | Speaker 4:

That's a pretty good story. Why would you choose that day to be your first time ever smoking?

02:08:56 - 02:09:12 | Speaker 2:

There's a lot of nerves and anxiety, I guess. That was two weeks after going to a Wiz Khalifa-McMiller concert in Ypsilanti and got into the culture, and I guess nerves got the better half of me, and now I'm a long time. By the way, that was our promotion.

02:09:12 - 02:09:58 | Speaker 1:

That was at Eastern Michigan. We did that. I remember that concert. Yeah, yeah. yes we sponsored that um this one's pretty good too i mean the car one this one yeah hold on a second here uh shauna best high moment hi again i'm just kidding hold on a second hold on rachel what's going on it's mojo in the morning best high moment can you beat the asia watch story the shauna uh i'm sorry shauna the uh watch story asia the car almost went into the uh the the lake story or jordan naming his kid after whiz um i hope so what's yours so this was this

02:10:00 - 02:10:34 | Speaker 5:

somewhere in high school my friend and I I was staying at her house we snuck out met a group of our friends were boys and they're like hey we know this really small abandoned one house one bedroom house let's go smoke there and we're like okay cool it's like middle of the night and I'm like you know what would make this room look better is if it were painted black so I found what I thought was black paint painted the entire inside black after we were smoking Turns out it wasn't paint. It was some random flammable glue. The whole place caught fire, and it burned down. No way.

02:10:35 - 02:10:39 | Speaker 2:

Oh, crazy as hell. You went to an abandoned house to smoke?

02:10:40 - 02:10:46 | Speaker 5:

Yep. It was probably like a shed, a makeshift shed. It's not there anymore.

02:10:47 - 02:10:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I burned it down. And they painted. They were going to paint the room because they wanted it black.

02:10:52 - 02:10:55 | Speaker 5:

They didn't know it was flammable. My mind was gone.

02:10:56 - 02:11:02 | Speaker 2:

Wow, that's crazy. That was awesome. Yes. David, I got room for a couple more here. David, you there?

02:11:03 - 02:11:04 | Unknown:

Crazy, dude.

02:11:05 - 02:11:13 | Speaker 2:

David. It's high times right now. I'm Mojo in the Morning. David, you there? David. Is his name David?

02:11:13 - 02:11:17 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it is, and now we're going to hang up on him. David, what do we expect, though?

02:11:17 - 02:11:21 | Speaker 2:

I love when Lydia gets feisty. Lydia, what do we get? What do we expect? These are all stone bugs.

02:11:21 - 02:11:32 | Speaker 3:

It's annoying. again today what's going on is this jordan this is jordan how come when the phone rang and i said

02:11:32 - 02:11:38 | Speaker 1:

02:11:49 - 02:11:50 | Speaker 2:

02:11:50 - 02:11:54 | Speaker 3:

Jordan, what's the first letter to your last name? Come on.

02:11:54 - 02:11:54 | Speaker 2:

Jordan.

02:11:55 - 02:11:55 | Unknown:

H.

02:11:56 - 02:11:56 | Speaker 2:

P?

02:11:57 - 02:11:57 | Speaker 3:

Right.

02:11:58 - 02:12:02 | Speaker 2:

H or P? What'd you say? H. H. I thought I said P. Okay, H.

02:12:03 - 02:12:03 | Speaker 1:

H. All right.

02:12:04 - 02:12:12 | Speaker 2:

Jordan H, and then let me get the other Jordan. Other Jordan, what's your first letter to your last name? G. G. So Jordan H.

02:12:12 - 02:12:17 | Speaker 5:

What's your social security number? 299. No.

02:12:19 - 02:12:20 | Speaker 1:

No, that's good.

02:12:21 - 02:12:24 | Speaker 2:

All right, Jordan H., we didn't hear your story. Go ahead.

02:12:25 - 02:12:47 | Speaker 1:

All right, so I was delivering pizzas, and I was smoking while I was delivering it, and I got confused and high, and I didn't know where I was, so I canceled the GPS out and put the pizza place back in, made it all the way back to the pizza place, and then realized I didn't deliver the pizza, so I had to turn around and go back and deliver the pizza. Oh, my God.

02:12:47 - 02:13:05 | Speaker 2:

This, by the way, sounds like every pizza delivery guy back in the day. This is every pizza delivery guy, the high guy that's out there. All right, Jordan H., hold on one second. Okay, for the rest of you, we will have another chance for you to win tomorrow when we do Mojo in the Mornings again. What is it called again? Cushion Towel.

02:13:06 - 02:13:09 | Speaker 3:

Cushion Towel. Which one of these?

02:13:10 - 02:13:17 | Speaker 2:

I like the Asia going into the lake one, but I also like Jordan G. Because he named his kid.

02:13:17 - 02:13:18 | Speaker 3:

I do, too. I like Jordan.

02:13:18 - 02:13:23 | Speaker 2:

So should we do Jordan G? Yeah. What do you think, Kyle? Sure. Jordan G. Winner is Jordan G.

02:13:23 - 02:13:26 | Speaker 1:

That name is good after Wiz Khalifa. Kamri.

02:13:27 - 02:13:27 | Speaker 2:

Hey.

02:13:27 - 02:13:28 | Speaker 1:

Let's go.

02:13:29 - 02:13:44 | Speaker 2:

Jordan, you're now qualified to meet Wiz Khalifa. Tomorrow, we'll have more calls. So we'll see what happens when, at the end of the week, we get everybody together, all right? Yes, sir. All right. Hang on one second here. Have a fantastic day, buddy. Don't go anywhere.

02:13:45 - 02:13:47 | Speaker 4:

Pay your bills. You're damn right.

02:13:47 - 02:13:48 | Speaker 1:

Need your bills paid?

02:13:49 - 02:13:53 | Speaker 4:

We'll give you a shot at $1,000 in just a few minutes on Mojo in the Morning.

02:13:54 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 2:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. Coming up here in just a few, we've got Love Letters to Lyle. I was listening to another radio show, and they were on like an AC type of a station, like a station that plays like adult contemporary, and they're like, it is time for love letters to Lyle. And I'm like, who's Lyle? They never explained. The show doesn't even have a Lyle on the show. I'm like, who's Lyle? And they started reading love letters, people's love letters that spouses wrote. And I thought to myself, I'm going, that's kind of interesting. They just needed a guy's name that sounded like love letters, so they just named it love letters to Lyle. So that's kind of cool. So we don't even need a person on the show to have a topic like that. We got to make up our own. know um so did you guys know that uh Lydia and Bianca were hanging out on Cass Lake over the weekend I saw photos they were it was Instagram it was actually interesting because for those that don't know if they're in Grand Rapids or Toledo

02:15:00 - 02:15:36 | Speaker 1:

Or maybe you're listening to us on the iHeartRadio app somewhere around the world. Cass Lake is like the official lake of all the Chaldeans. And the two Chaldashians from the Mojo and the Morning Show, sisters Lydia and Bianca, were hanging out with Angel from the sales department and Angel's sexy guy, Rob. And they were kind of having their fun. Lydia was telling me on the way in about the shenanigans they were playing. And I'm telling you, the more you talk to me, the more I realize that you and Bianca should not be hanging out with each other. You guys are such different people.

02:15:38 - 02:15:51 | Speaker 4:

Well, yesterday when we were on Cast Lake with Angel, Bianca wanted to walk around the lake to see if we could find any Chaldean men. And I was like, okay, sure. I wasn't wanting to do it, right, Bianca? I was telling you, I'm like, I really don't want to do this.

02:15:51 - 02:15:53 | Speaker 5:

I was dragging her like a puppy.

02:15:53 - 02:16:16 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'm like, I'm too grown for this. And as we're walking through the lake, she's scoping out men on all of these boats. And she's like, hey, hey, can we come on your boat? And I'm like, Bianca, you should not be asking men to go on their boat. They should be asking us. They already have women on their boat. They don't want two more running around and not the two that are asking to come on the boat. We already have a boat to go on.

02:16:16 - 02:16:21 | Speaker 1:

So she wasn't asking. She was basically yelling at them from off the boat.

02:16:21 - 02:16:30 | Speaker 4:

Yes, and then once we completed our route, she wanted to go back and pick on the ones who looked at us and actually wanted to give us attention. That's not how it works.

02:16:30 - 02:16:50 | Speaker 1:

So this is an interesting one because, you know, the whole motto is if you don't ask, you don't receive. Exactly. And so Bianca's basically asking, which is unusual because usually you don't see two very attractive young women like yourselves yelling at guys, hey, I want to hang out with you.

02:16:50 - 02:16:54 | Speaker 3:

I know, but okay, so Lydia, do you think that it came off as being desperate? Yes. Yeah.

02:16:55 - 02:16:58 | Speaker 4:

And never when I was even her age was I doing that.

02:16:58 - 02:17:03 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Well, all I wanted to do was go look at prospects. I was just prospecting, you know?

02:17:03 - 02:17:06 | Speaker 1:

What were the girls on the boats doing when you were yelling at their guys?

02:17:07 - 02:17:09 | Speaker 5:

They low-key looked really pissed off. I know.

02:17:09 - 02:17:21 | Speaker 4:

Did you remember that one guy, Bianca, we recognized? So we saw a guy that we had in Miami. Yes. He was sitting on a boat with some girl just like laid up with her. And I'm like, Bianca, don't yell at him. And she's like, hey. Hey, hi.

02:17:21 - 02:17:23 | Speaker 1:

Did you say remember me?

02:17:24 - 02:17:56 | Speaker 5:

He's like, hey, Bianca. I was like, what up? I'm like, you're going to get him in so much trouble. I ended up FaceTiming him, too, with his girl. His girlfriend's like, who's this? Are you out of your mind? Well, listen, here's the thing. I don't care, and I was telling Lydia this. If I don't take a guy seriously or if, like, I don't really see myself with a guy seriously, I'm going to hang out with him. I'll have to hang out with him. Like, I don't care. As friends. Yes. Yes. But if there's a guy that I do like, I won't be so out and be, like, trying to hang out with him so much I want him to come to me. But I don't care. I don't care about these guys. I'm just trying to have fun. I don't care.

02:17:56 - 02:18:18 | Speaker 1:

All right, so I want to ask the guys that are listening to the show. I know we have a number of guys that listen to this radio show that are Bianca and Lydia's age in their 20s. Would you like to have girls be that forward and scream out to you, like, hey, what's going on? You know, because I'll be honest. I'll be honest, that would have been a dream come true as a guy. Some guys would be intimidated by it.

02:18:18 - 02:18:31 | Speaker 2:

It depends on the situation. There's two ways it can go. Either you can look thirsty and unattractive, or it can just be easier for me that I don't have to go fishing. If the fish is willing to jump in the boat literally, then let's go.

02:18:32 - 02:18:38 | Speaker 3:

But don't you think differently of a girl who's screaming for you to let her on your boat? That was my first one. She's the thirsty one.

02:18:38 - 02:18:39 | Speaker 2:

That's what I mean.

02:18:40 - 02:18:44 | Speaker 1:

Wait, so you think it's just way too thirsty? You don't think that it's actually kind of.

02:18:44 - 02:19:04 | Speaker 2:

No, it depends. Like, if there are some women that you can just tell, like, you just, nah, bro, like, we're not trying to, you just trying to, you a leech at that point. You the same girl drinking off my bottle in the club, ain't put in. You just like, like, get out of my section. What are you doing here? No, we had people offering us some Don Julio. Look at these girls. Look at all the, that's an angel. I know, that's a picture I saw.

02:19:05 - 02:19:07 | Speaker 1:

Look how hot these guys look.

02:19:07 - 02:19:09 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, we're probably the best looking girls on that league, bro.

02:19:09 - 02:19:14 | Speaker 1:

You got Lydia, Bianca, and Angel. Was Angel yelling at the boat, too?

02:19:15 - 02:19:16 | Speaker 5:

No, she wasn't coming with us.

02:19:16 - 02:19:18 | Speaker 1:

What did Angel think when you were doing this?

02:19:18 - 02:19:22 | Speaker 5:

She thought it was funny. She said, go be naughty. She told me. Go be naughty.

02:19:22 - 02:19:23 | Speaker 3:

That's so Angel.

02:19:25 - 02:19:38 | Speaker 5:

She's going to go out there and put myself out there. And honestly, I feel like there's nothing wrong with it. I feel like girls nowadays are all like, let's have a guy come up to me. But honestly, I don't care. Did any guys invite you on their boat? Yeah, he did. They did. But I said no, just because I didn't know.

02:19:38 - 02:19:39 | Speaker 1:

Who were the guys that invited you?

02:19:39 - 02:19:43 | Speaker 5:

the old dudes no some young Albanian kid oh really here's the thing I'm not really all about

02:19:43 - 02:19:55 | Speaker 1:

that was he good looking or no no real if he's not cute I don't want it what's up Ashton how you doing what's up how you doing guys good what do you think about this I don't think

02:19:55 - 02:20:00 | Speaker 3:

it's desperate at all I think we live in an age where a lot of

02:20:00 - 02:20:05 | Speaker 6:

young men do not know how to talk to women so it's not gonna happen unless you know somebody

02:20:05 - 02:20:14 | Speaker 2:

talks to somebody i hear stories about these guys all the time ashton you bring up a great point that all they do is sit there and play video games all day that they have no communication skills

02:20:14 - 02:20:23 | Speaker 6:

bianca is making it easy for them yeah yeah yeah she's making it super easy so she can drive my boat any day she wants. Hey.

02:20:23 - 02:20:30 | Speaker 2:

Let me drive the boat. Hey, now. All right. What's up, George? Hi, George. Your thoughts on this, George?

02:20:32 - 02:20:40 | Speaker 6:

Hey, I own a boat, and if she's that fine, she can ask me anytime or any other guy that's smart. When you're that beautiful, you don't got to have rules. Okay.

02:20:41 - 02:20:42 | Speaker 7:

All right. Where are you going next weekend?

02:20:43 - 02:20:44 | Speaker 2:

On Catch Lake.

02:20:45 - 02:20:45 | Speaker 7:

Hey, I'll see you. Wow.

02:20:46 - 02:21:08 | Speaker 2:

George, how old are you, if you don't mind me asking? I'm doing a little survey. 43. 43. 43. age that's what it is that's my dad's age yeah george you know what 43 year old guys we you know we sit there and look at this and go this is the greatest thing ever 20 something year old guys are like there's something wrong with that girl there's damaged goods there yeah but we want to

02:21:08 - 02:21:12 | Speaker 6:

have the best boat and jet skis the cheaper guys don't have the cheaper stuff that's true wait a

02:21:12 - 02:21:42 | Speaker 2:

second that's actually i will tell you this you know what going on cast lake is like going on Redcast Lake is like hanging out with the guys at a car show. They all show off their stuff. Like, they're very, very into whatever boat or toys that they have. They go crazy. Oh, yes. Yeah. Remember when we did the thing where we went on the air and asked listeners, anybody with a boat want to invite us out and we'll come on your boat with you? And it was all people that were on all these lakes. Oh, yeah. And these guys were like, yo, bro, you got to see what I got on this.

02:21:42 - 02:21:43 | Speaker 7:

Oh, yeah.

02:21:43 - 02:21:46 | Speaker 2:

I was like, what do you mean? And they're like telling me about it.

02:21:46 - 02:21:50 | Speaker 7:

Everybody was telling, like, the amenities of their boat versus everybody else's.

02:21:50 - 02:21:54 | Speaker 2:

I got a dual-engine Yamaha here. What's up, Gigi? How you doing?

02:21:56 - 02:22:00 | Speaker 5:

Hey. Okay, so I think that, you know, can you hear me?

02:22:00 - 02:22:01 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, loud and clear. What's up?

02:22:02 - 02:22:16 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I just think that, you know, she could have, like, definitely, you know, she should have said back, like Lillian said, there's no reason when you're beautiful, it's, like, a non-factor to even have to do all that, like. Well. Hang out to me. That's not needed.

02:22:17 - 02:22:22 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Again, another person in a drive-thru. Where are you at a drive-thru at?

02:22:23 - 02:22:24 | Speaker 5:

I'm sorry, what?

02:22:24 - 02:22:25 | Speaker 2:

Where are you right now?

02:22:27 - 02:22:33 | Speaker 5:

I'm actually in the car. Okay. Maybe I'm a first-time caller. Oh, baby girl on the phone.

02:22:33 - 02:22:48 | Speaker 2:

Bianca, you know what you want. You got to go for it. What's up, Paul? How you doing? Lydia's raining on Bianca's parade this morning here. What's going on? Hey, good morning, guys. How are you? Good. What are your thoughts about what Bianca's technique was in trying to get on guys' boats?

02:22:49 - 02:23:00 | Speaker 3:

My professional boat opinion as a guy that does not own a boat is that if I see you ask 50 other boats screaming across the lake to get on the boat, I'm going to drive as far away from you as possible.

02:23:01 - 02:23:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, if you get turned away from about three or four of those boats, you're going to realize there's something wrong. Maybe, Bianca, you needed to suddenly talk to these guys.

02:23:09 - 02:23:10 | Speaker 7:

I'm like, hey, let me come on your boat.

02:23:10 - 02:23:33 | Speaker 2:

You know what you need to do? And this is the thing I've realized in the sandbar there, which, by the way, I used to go out on the lake all the time with Denise and Jimmy George and their son, Trevor George and stuff. And they would take us and the kids out on the boat. And Denise would go, do not go into the water. It's stewing in your own pee. She was like, you cannot go in the water.

02:23:33 - 02:23:38 | Speaker 7:

When you get feeling so warm in certain areas, it's like, oh, someone just peed there.

02:23:38 - 02:23:53 | Speaker 2:

Denise would take us away and we would just go hang out in front of our house, you know what I mean? where nobody was stewing in their own pee um but uh i i sit there and i think to myself all those people that are in that sandbar area are just so kind of like subtly like partying and then you

02:23:53 - 02:24:06 | Speaker 7:

got to like talk to them for a little bit exactly and also one thing all the girls that have six packs like all these like 40 50 year old women all six packs oh my god they're all on the glp

02:24:06 - 02:24:09 | Speaker 2:

Wands or whatever the heck those things are. Maybe I got to get on.

02:24:09 - 02:24:16 | Speaker 4:

Well, and Mojo, let me tell you, everybody at that sandbar, they're all drinking, having a good time, right? Not one of them's getting out to go to the bathroom.

02:24:16 - 02:24:19 | Speaker 2:

That is, exactly. They're going right in that water.

02:24:20 - 02:24:21 | Speaker 7:

There goes Bianca putting her head in.

02:24:21 - 02:24:22 | Speaker 2:

As Denise.

While everybody was out on their boats and partying this weekend, Kevin was in church praying. Feel me?

02:26:38 - 02:26:39 | Speaker 4:

Did you go to church yesterday?

02:26:40 - 02:26:40 | Speaker 5:

Feel me?

02:26:41 - 02:28:29 | Speaker 6:

Got to be in the house of the Lord at all times. And what did you witness at church? No, a dude talking on his phone. Listen, church is one of them places where there are certain etiquette, And I don't feel like we need rules on the door to say, don't answer your phone in church. Places you don't do that at. I'm sitting in the road. Josiah's sitting next to me. It's a guy in front of me, older gentleman. Old because he had like basically these headphones that I'm wearing right now. One of them old ass men who have like the headset with the old speaker. Like he work at a call center. It was like that type of vibe with a wire that I guess went down to his cell phone. You don't hear it ring. So it's not like one of those kind of things. All of a sudden, preacher doing his thing. Shout out, Josh. He goes, hello? It's one of the things you sit back in your seat and you kind of look around like, is this really happening right now? And then he like, no, I'm in church. What's up? Nobody around me can believe that this man is actually about to continue a full ass conversation in church. It gets to a point where somebody has to say something. This is a church that, you know, you have ushers. Some churches have security. you think in your mind that someone who is affiliated with what's happening the service in like a leadership capacity is going to come over and say something to this gentleman because at this point it's three minutes in he's still having this long ass conversation nobody is saying anything but everybody in the front like the front of not the front of roads but roads above him they're starting to turn around in the way back because he's not realizing like it's an emergency okay let me call you right back that's cool you're having a conversation where you try to figure out what you're having for dinner later. It's time to hang up the damn phone. So finally, I tap on the show. I'm like, hey, excuse me. Would you mind, like, ending the call so you take it away from the service? He kind of look at me, like, with a little eye. Then the lady next to him, like, it's okay.

02:28:29 - 02:28:29 | Unknown:

Just kind of call.

02:28:30 - 02:28:40 | Speaker 6:

He gets up, still on the phone, as he gets up and walks out of the sanctuary, still on the phone, like, this can't be happening right now, bro. If ain't the Lord calling, you got to hang up.

02:28:41 - 02:28:44 | Speaker 5:

People are so attached to their phones, they'll talk anywhere. They will.

02:28:45 - 02:28:56 | Speaker 4:

That's insanely. I think it's rude when people talk. Like if I go to the nail place and get anything done, but like especially a pedicure, most people are like relaxing. They're scrolling. I cannot handle. Are you a phone talker when you're doing that?

02:28:56 - 02:28:57 | Speaker 5:

Oh, man, I'm so guilty.

02:28:58 - 02:28:58 | Speaker 4:

That's so rude.

02:28:59 - 02:29:24 | Speaker 5:

I sit there with that. I have my AirPods in and I say I ask the person that's doing my first off, they're talking about me. I don't even know what they're saying. Like I know they're talking because they're I go to a place where they're they're talking their language to each other. and they're talking about me. I know they're talking about me because all of a sudden they're saying something. I go, huh? And I thought she was talking to me and she's like, no, no, no, no, I'm talking. And they're saying something. So I'm like, I'm just going to stay on my phone. So that's a bad thing to do?

02:29:24 - 02:29:32 | Speaker 4:

I think so. I think that's really rude. Yeah. Because everybody else is just trying to like have a moment, a peaceful moment.

02:29:33 - 02:29:47 | Speaker 5:

But I like, what I do, Shannon, is not necessarily just always on the phone. I will be there and I will watch stuff on Instagram or watch stuff on TikTok. And then if I can make a phone call or so, I'll make a phone call.

02:29:47 - 02:29:55 | Speaker 4:

But I've been there when there have been women who are just, like, so loud. I know everything that's happening in their life.

02:29:55 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 5:

Has anybody ever had a pastor call them out?

02:30:00 - 02:30:07 | Speaker 6:

for doing this? Like, has anybody ever had the pastor stop in the middle of service and then say to you, you know, get out?

02:30:08 - 02:30:15 | Speaker 5:

When I was a kid, I got kicked out of church before. Did you really? He made me, like, go to the back sanctuary. Let's ask that question.

02:30:16 - 02:30:20 | Speaker 6:

What got you kicked out of church? Wouldn't that be amazing if we had people kicked out of church?

02:30:21 - 02:30:23 | Speaker 5:

You can't be getting kicked out of church, nah.

02:30:23 - 02:30:34 | Speaker 6:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Why'd you get kicked out of church? This would be one of those ones where you would be like get that you know get that person out of here the way my mom tells it

02:30:34 - 02:31:08 | Speaker 5:

to me because i was i was i was couldn't have been more than 10 years old but we used to have like children's portion of the church where they would bring us up on the steps and they would like talk to us and give us like a children's sermon and all the kids used to sit in the front row so it was easier to access that little area and i guess i'm laughing too loud or playing too much and the pastor is in the middle of his sermon stops his sermon and says hey you out like that's like and like made me like leave the church i i don't like the churches that

02:31:08 - 02:31:56 | Speaker 4:

keep the kids in the like the main in the main and then bring them up like that like the church west goes to does that and i don't love that because the whole time i'm so add like like all the kids like the kids are running around and they're talking and they're you know doing all the things um i like the churches that like i go to kensington i've been so bad about going to church but i go to kensington and they have like kids they have a room they have their own services they do they do their own fun things yeah their own and i remember growing up we would go to cabrini and allen park with my grandmas and they had like a i thought it was kind of creepy it was like a an enclosed glass area where you would have to go sit if you were crying room a crying room that's what they called it so it was still in the church but it was like an enclosed glass

02:31:56 - 02:32:26 | Speaker 6:

was so boring that i remember i used to sneak matchbox cars with me and i would play with them on the thing and then all of a sudden you would hear them drop on the ground and it was like it would echo throughout the whole church and monsignor gorman would be like what's that that's the lord monsignor uh they did but i was too too big for the crying room like it was only for babies you don't put little you don't yeah how you feel about people who don't put their kids

02:32:26 - 02:32:29 | Speaker 5:

in children's church and they still bring them in main church and they be in there and the kids

02:32:29 - 02:32:36 | Speaker 6:

are eight holes well it is really distracting that's the one tristan what's up hi guys i was

02:32:36 - 02:33:03 | Speaker 2:

listening to your segment i'm on my way to my grandparents actually it's kind of funny i heard you were talking about getting kicked out of church and my grandpa got kicked out of church because he he has a really bad stomach and he got kicked out of church for farting super loud no i'm being dead serious with me i just it was all silent and then he he looks he looks to the left of me and says it's the guy behind us

02:33:03 - 02:33:11 | Speaker 6:

that is so funny so they said to him you got to get out of church

02:33:11 - 02:33:19 | Speaker 2:

no the pastor came up to us uh when we were listening to the music right now and said I think you should head home right about now.

02:33:20 - 02:33:28 | Speaker 6:

That's not happening. You need to poop. He wanted to make sure he was clean down there. Rambo. What did you get kicked out of church for?

02:33:29 - 02:33:43 | Speaker 3:

What up, Rambo? What's happening, y'all? I got kicked out of church. I was 12. I think I was in Sunday school when I was like 12. And I stood up and screamed, F the devil. I didn't think nothing was wrong with that. I thought we hated this fool.

02:33:43 - 02:33:45 | Speaker 5:

Right. Right.

02:33:45 - 02:33:46 | Speaker 6:

That's great.

02:33:46 - 02:33:47 | Speaker 5:

They should have made you a deacon.

02:33:47 - 02:33:50 | Speaker 6:

Oh, that's funny. Nick, why did you get kicked out of church?

02:33:51 - 02:33:58 | Speaker 2:

I was young going to church with my friends, and I was walking out. I know this is back when ringtones were popular.

02:33:59 - 02:34:03 | Speaker 6:

And what was the ringtone that went off in church?

02:34:04 - 02:34:16 | Speaker 2:

It was like, it was like, don't throw your mother in your hand. Everybody looked at me, and this lady came and escorted me out of the church.

02:34:16 - 02:34:35 | Speaker 6:

Is that Kanye? Yeah, that was Kanye. Get him high. Track A, registration. Oh, my God. That's funny. Could you imagine that going off as a ringtone? Rob, this is a wild one. Rob, you got confronted by the pastor for something that you said on the show? Yes. What happened?

02:34:36 - 02:35:29 | Speaker 1:

So back when you guys were in Clarkston giving out Kid Rock and foreigner tickets, my pastor's wife heard me on the radio talking about what did i do before church and she called me out from the congregation oh like during an actual service before service started i showed up a little bit early the pastor's wife everybody was sitting down and she goes you ought to be ashamed of your Thank you.

02:35:00 - 02:35:01 | Speaker 3:

I heard you on the radio.

02:35:01 - 02:35:24 | Speaker 1:

I turned back around and said, be glad it wasn't your daughter. Have a good one. I'm not. Oh, my God. That's unbelievable. Hey, the bastard's wife's listening to the show here. Ironically, now they're divorced. Oh, no. First time, long time. That's a crazy story. That's unbelievable.

02:36:22 - 02:36:24 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the mornings, Dirty on the 30.

02:36:25 - 02:37:12 | Speaker 1:

Dirty on 30. So this morning we were talking about it, and I want to talk about it again, but we got into discussion over the Tigers games this weekend, and one of the big viral moments that happened during that game was former NHL All-Star and personal friend of Mojo in the Morning family and show here, and a big listener of the show, listens every single day to the show. Actually, it's funny. Takes his kids to school, drives his kids to school, and listens to the show, but Ryan Kessler is on the phone with us. And during the Friday game, he took his entire family, like, I don't know, 20-some people to a game, sitting out in the bleachers, and the Mariners hit a home run. During that time. Hold on.

02:37:12 - 02:37:17 | Speaker 3:

Field! He's done it again! Are you kidding me?

02:37:17 - 02:37:20 | Speaker 1:

One of the guys hit a home run, and then Ryan...

02:37:20 - 02:37:21 | Speaker 3:

This guy said, I don't want that.

02:37:24 - 02:37:49 | Speaker 1:

Ryan caught the ball barehanded. It was the most Detroit thing I've ever seen in my life. Hi, Ryan. Hey, how's it going? Good. By the way, that was the most bad. You and I have hung out before and I always feel so insignificant around you, Ryan. I now feel even more insignificant. You grabbed the ball with one freaking hand while you did not spill your Miller Lite.

02:37:51 - 02:37:56 | Speaker 4:

I can't compare to a Hall of Fame guy like you. That's for sure.

02:37:57 - 02:37:57 | Speaker 2:

Just trying.

02:37:59 - 02:38:06 | Speaker 1:

I'm coming back to that in a second because I want to talk about something like that. So wait, so you're at the game with what, your entire family is in town for this?

02:38:07 - 02:38:55 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah. We took our entire family to the game and usually when the game's out of hand, we usually try to beat the traffic, right? But Jordan Davis was coming on after, so we decided to stay and then that happened. my mom finds out she's like only you ryan did you how bad did that hurt your hand i thought i was gonna have a broken hand or a bruised hand it wasn't bruised i was i was surprised um it like stung really bad when it first happened thank god i had a couple beers before that but um uh it's one of those moments where like i could do that a hundred times and not catch even come close to catching it and the one time i actually catch it it's on camera

02:38:55 - 02:39:11 | Speaker 1:

ryan i i talked about this earlier this morning because of my boss went to the game yesterday and sat behind two guys grown-ass guys with gloves they bought both bought gloves to the game and they were going together a guy like you would never bring a glove to a game would you

02:39:11 - 02:39:41 | Speaker 4:

no no unless i'm carrying my kids gloves um no the guys in front of us kept standing up every time there was a hit I was like guys stop standing up the ball's not getting hit here you have to be like 10 to stand up and if you watch I don't stand up until I see the ball coming in and I'm like this is coming right towards us I'm like my daughter's gonna get hit in the face again it's gonna be bad again I'm like I gotta do something yeah listen this last week Ryan and

02:39:41 - 02:39:51 | Speaker 1:

Andrea Kessler had to go to the emergency room with their daughter who got hit by a golf club No. Oh, my God. Yeah, so she accidentally got hit by a golf club. So, yeah, being a protective dad. Is she doing okay, by the way?

02:39:52 - 02:39:58 | Speaker 4:

She's great, yeah. Okay. She's the tough one in the family. She's way tougher than I am.

02:39:58 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, man. No, you're a –

02:40:00 - 02:40:08 | Speaker 4:

Let me say about this guy. This guy's a badass on the ice. Don't read the comments. Because I read comments, and I'm like a friend of yours. I'm getting offended by these people.

02:40:08 - 02:40:08 | Speaker 2:

What are they saying?

02:40:08 - 02:40:51 | Speaker 4:

Oh, he didn't make enough money to have better seats than that? Like, everybody's giving him crap. And then people referring to Ryan. People are so good. When Ryan played, Ryan was a badass on the ice and obviously was not a Red Wing. So there's Red Wing fans, like, giving you crap. Oh, okay. But this is nuts. Hey, can I go back to the Hall of Fame thing? All of my friendship base has always been so wonderful to me over the years. Ryan is the most realistic guy ever. When I told him or Chelsea told you that I got into the Hall of Fame, the guy looked at me and goes, that can't happen. I go, what do you mean it can't happen? He goes, you got to be retired to get into the Hall of Fame. He's a hockey guy. He's like, they don't put players in while they're still playing.

02:40:52 - 02:41:02 | Speaker 3:

I was cracking up when you told me. I was generally confused when you told me. I'm like, that doesn't happen. I'm like, you must be really good at your job.

02:41:03 - 02:41:24 | Speaker 4:

Well, I do have to tell you this, that Ryan and I are going to be playing golf together in a golf tournament, and I'm getting the picture of him throwing the ball back onto the field printed onto a Grayson white polo shirt, and we're both going to wear those. Or maybe we get T-shirts made and we pass them out to all the friends. What do you think? A picture of you.

02:41:24 - 02:41:29 | Speaker 3:

How about you wear the one of me and I'll wear the one of you with your Hall of Fame trophy.

02:41:29 - 02:41:30 | Unknown:

There you go.

02:41:30 - 02:41:39 | Speaker 4:

I like it. And by the way, you completed the feat. Ryan made it the entire time that we've been on the air with him and didn't swear. This is unbelievable.

02:41:39 - 02:41:40 | Speaker 3:

That's incredible.

02:41:41 - 02:41:49 | Speaker 4:

I told you I can turn it off. I'll talk to you later, buddy. All right, buddy. Talk to you later. Congrats. Take care, guys. Congrats. That was awesome.

02:41:49 - 02:41:51 | Speaker 2:

Do you get a trophy for the Hall of Fame? What do you get?

02:41:51 - 02:42:03 | Speaker 4:

So they asked me. I get something, because they asked me what I wanted printed on there. Do I want it printed as Tom Carballo or Mojo or Stoapman? Do you want me to tell you how I told them? What did you say?

02:42:05 - 02:42:06 | Speaker 2:

For real.

02:42:06 - 02:42:07 | Speaker 4:

I was going to swear.

02:42:07 - 02:42:08 | Speaker 2:

No, for real.

02:42:09 - 02:42:16 | Speaker 4:

Say it and then just dump it. I had them, no, I had them put, I want them to put Tom Carballo and then a dash Mojo.

02:42:16 - 02:42:17 | Speaker 2:

Okay, yeah.

02:42:17 - 02:42:24 | Speaker 4:

Because you're in an actual, you know, building, too. So I thought it'd be cool for my family to see my birth name.

02:42:24 - 02:43:29 | Speaker 2:

All right. God, we're so late. I'll try to talk fast. But Justin Bieber has agreed to pay his former manager, Scooter Braun, $31.5 million. I had to think about that for a second as part of a financial settlement. I mean, this was part of the reason of their relationship deteriorating as Bieber owed him a lot of money. $26 million, part of the advance that was owed when Justin canceled the 2022 Justice Tour. So Scooter's getting that back. And then Justin also going to pay Scooter about $5.5 million for unpaid commissions. And in the wake of that dirty, Scooter being very kind about Justin's album. Yes, swag that he dropped in the early morning hours on Friday. He called it the most authentic album that Justin has put out and said it was beautiful, raw, and truly him. What a weekend for those two. Spoiler alert if you haven't caught up on Love Island USA Season 7. We now have our winners, Amaya and Brian, are taking home that $100,000 cash prize. We also got the date of the reunion. That is slated to drop on Monday, August 25th at 9 p.m.

02:43:29 - 02:43:30 | Speaker 1:

I can't wait.

02:43:31 - 02:43:32 | Speaker 4:

Lydia, is that who you wanted to win?

02:43:32 - 02:43:40 | Speaker 1:

No. No. I honestly wanted it to be Sierra and Nick at the end, but he ended up with Olandria, who was on the show as well.

02:43:40 - 02:43:43 | Speaker 2:

And remember, Sierra was the one that got the boot from the villa.

02:43:43 - 02:43:44 | Speaker 1:

Correct, yeah.

02:43:44 - 02:43:57 | Speaker 4:

It's funny because I don't watch the show. So it kind of reminds me of whenever people, and I do this all the time, talk about a show that nobody else watches. It's almost kind of like the Peanuts teacher where it's like, you don't even know anything is going on.

02:43:57 - 02:44:08 | Speaker 2:

Well, it's funny because I'm reporting on it and I didn't watch it, but my stepdaughter watched it and Lydia's been talking about it. And so I feel like I'm like missing out or out of the loop on this, but it's too late now that I already know who I am.

02:44:08 - 02:44:22 | Speaker 4:

Has there ever been a show that was so popular you didn't watch, but you would fake like you watched it? Because I've done that a couple of times. Friends? Well, Breaking Bad was like that. Like, in the beginning, I didn't watch Breaking Bad until it had already been out. And then I'm like, oh, yes. You know?

02:44:22 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 2:

Friends and then Grey's Anatomy. I've never seen an episode of Grey's Anatomy. And everybody always talked about Grey's. I think it's still on, right? Yeah. But, yeah. She's still making money. Clay Thompson, I think, went Instagram official with Megan Thee Stallion over the weekend. We knew that they were together. He was posting pictures from, where was he? The Bahamas. Or, no, she was posting pictures from the Bahamas. And you could see him in the background. And then this weekend on Saturday, he was like smooching somebody. And it's her, right? Yeah. I mean, that's pretty obvious. Mary Publica. And lastly, Travis and Jason Kelsey.

02:45:00 - 02:45:19 | Speaker 1:

were wowing crowds at the American Century Championship Golf event in Tahoe this weekend with a little karaoke performance. And they did Bob Seger. They did a Bob Seger song. It was pretty great. Full beers.

02:45:26 - 02:45:38 | Speaker 3:

By the way, shout out to former MVP, MLB MVP, Jimmy Rollins, who got a hole-in-one at that. It was like a big moment for him.

02:45:39 - 02:45:43 | Speaker 1:

Hey, for everything you missed today, check out the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app.

Life is a highway.

02:46:32 - 02:46:50 | Speaker 3:

Ian, you're a winner. Congratulations. A brand-new car could be yours, my friend. Man, I've been trying for weeks here. Summer of cars, cash, and gas. Last week, everybody said they wanted the car, the 2025 loaded Chevy Trax. This morning, it's been all about the cash. What are you choosing for this?

02:46:51 - 02:46:56 | Speaker 4:

Man, I want the cash. Me and my wife both have brand-new cars, so the cash would really help us out. Okay.

02:46:57 - 02:47:03 | Speaker 3:

Listeners need some help with bills. Hey, Gordon Chevrolet, we're going to be there. You're going to be there, too. Congratulations to you.

02:49:02 - 02:49:07 | Speaker 3:

well how about mojo in the morning would you take us that's what i that's why i listen to you guys

02:49:07 - 02:49:18 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I would love to have you guys. That would be way better than him, than Fred. Wouldn't that be nice? You know? Yeah, Tony, put Mojo on the airwaves in Salt Lake.

02:49:19 - 02:49:38 | Speaker 3:

Tony, you hear this. The listeners have answered. You know what, though? Now that Tony has won two in a row when it comes to the throwback throwdown, we may never get his head out of this building. By the way, did you know he had to go out the double doors on Friday because he was so excited about beating you.

02:49:38 - 02:49:58 | Speaker 2:

Tony is a gloater, bro. He was. And he sends me one. He sent me the entire Throwback Throwdown segment in a text message. Both weeks he's won. Yeah. He sent me the videos of the songs that he's won. I've never seen him act like this before. You give a guy a little bit of taste of success. This is who he is. But we know this from Tony.

02:49:58 - 02:50:00 | Speaker 3:

There's humility in Tony's life.

02:50:00 - 02:50:06 | Speaker 4:

He's only got humility when it doesn't come to Kev. He left his humility on the farm.

02:50:08 - 02:50:09 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Margo.

02:50:09 - 02:50:09 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, buddy.

02:50:10 - 02:50:17 | Speaker 2:

So since I don't have an address in Detroit, and I can't win the car, but can I still win a Kroger gift card?

02:50:18 - 02:50:25 | Speaker 4:

Wait, quick question for you. Why can you not? Lydia, they can't win? An out-of-state area person cannot win?

02:50:25 - 02:50:28 | Speaker 1:

Michigan and Ohio cannot. That's in our rules. What do you mean?

02:50:28 - 02:50:29 | Speaker 4:

For what?

02:50:29 - 02:50:41 | Speaker 1:

What do you mean Michigan? They can't win anything from us. They have to be a Michigan or Ohio resident. We're only, like, I don't know how to explain it. Through our promotions department, that's the only way you can win through taxes and stuff, for, like, tax purposes.

02:50:41 - 02:50:44 | Speaker 4:

Oh, okay. You know what? Can I give this guy a letter?

02:50:44 - 02:50:48 | Speaker 1:

I can mail him one. Like, I have some that I can mail him without going through the system.

02:50:49 - 02:51:00 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so listen, if you do it under the radar, if you do it under the radar, we can get you a Kroger gift card. but you cannot tell the government about this because we do not want the IRS coming after us. Okay?

02:51:00 - 02:51:03 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I won't. I won't tell anyone. This will be our secret.

02:51:04 - 02:51:10 | Speaker 4:

Wait, and be honest. I did not pay. I'm not paying you this to say that about Fred, right?

02:51:11 - 02:51:15 | Speaker 2:

No, no. I had no idea that you, yeah, no. Yeah. Not at all.

02:51:15 - 02:51:22 | Speaker 4:

I've not heard from Fred in a long time. Fred's been MIA. I don't know what's going on. I thought for sure I'd hear from him when I got into the Hall of Fame. He's working on his show.

02:51:22 - 02:51:27 | Speaker 5:

I was so surprised you did not. I was a little disappointed about that. I'm looking on trying to copy you guys. Oh, stop it. All right, stop it.

02:51:27 - 02:51:43 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning on iHeartRadio. Now number one for podcasts. Listen to the Mojo in the Morning show on iHeartRadio. And if you want to really have fun, listen to the More Mojo podcast. It's rated R fun with Mojo in the Morning.

02:51:43 - 02:51:51 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning. Are your kids into either of your kids into la boo-boos at all?

02:51:52 - 02:51:53 | Speaker 5:

Please make it stop.

02:51:53 - 02:51:55 | Speaker 4:

Are they really that? I think they love it.

02:51:56 - 02:52:00 | Speaker 5:

It's all they talk about is how bad they want a labubu. And those things are ugly.

02:52:01 - 02:52:03 | Speaker 4:

Last week you talked about some. Jelly cats.

02:52:04 - 02:52:07 | Speaker 5:

Jelly cats are stuffed animals. Those are honestly very cute. I'm into the jelly cats.

02:52:07 - 02:52:15 | Speaker 4:

But you made it seem last week like your kids weren't into labubus. That they love the jelly cats more. But then all I hear my friend's kids talk about is labubus.

02:52:15 - 02:52:36 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no. They know all about labubus. I had kind of put the kibosh on the labubu craze. because it's very, very hard to get your hands on one. I know in the Detroit area, 12 Oaks Mall and Great Lakes Crossing have a Pop Mart vending machine, and that's where you can get them, but there are only so many. And people wait in line for hours to try to get one.

02:52:36 - 02:53:01 | Speaker 4:

Can I tell you the dumbest thing that I ever saw? And honestly, this is going to get me in trouble because I think she's a listener too. So, oh gosh, do I bring this up? Yes, please. No, because I bring stuff off sometimes on the air, and it's so bad. I used to never even think about it. I'd barrel right through it. But I saw a girl with one of those Hermes purses with a LeBubu hanging off of it.

02:53:01 - 02:53:04 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that's a thing that I don't get.

02:53:04 - 02:53:10 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so first off, I saw the purse, which I know you don't like those purses. I think those purses are beautiful, although I don't think the prices are.

02:53:10 - 02:53:11 | Speaker 5:

I never said I didn't like them.

02:53:11 - 02:53:12 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I thought you said you didn't like them.

02:53:13 - 02:53:16 | Speaker 5:

No, I said I will never in my lifetime be able to afford one.

02:53:17 - 02:54:24 | Speaker 4:

Like, I think those, I think they're very pretty. Like, I actually like, like, I love women's. Handbags? Yes. And I call them purses. And Norm, our old agent, used to go, when they're that expensive, they're not a purse, they're a handbag. So I was at Somerset, which, by the way, Somerset's on fire in the summertime, even. I mean, when I'm not on fire, like, literally, because it had been. No, it's very busy. It's, like, packed. Yeah. It's because I think the weather is so hot and people are going to the mall. And I don't know if maybe the malls in Toledo and Grand Rapids are the same, too. But this mall, you know, that we have in the Detroit area has got like a bajillion stores. And so I saw this girl walking and she kind of did the whole look like I might know that you're Mojo in the morning or she may be recognized. And I go, hey, you know, I kind of I always do that. And I look and I'm going, oh, she's got a really nice purse. And what is that hanging off of it? and it was a little alien-looking creature, the Labuboos. And I'm like, why would you do that to your... What is the deal with a grown person with a little doll?

02:54:24 - 02:54:41 | Speaker 5:

It's a status symbol at this point. It's like you got one. Yeah, that's what it feels like. You guys, when I was in France on vacation, I made Wes go to Poplar to try to find Labuboos, and he's like, are we really here? And you can't even get them there. Read the prices. I honestly don't even know how much they cost.

02:54:41 - 02:54:42 | Speaker 4:

Look at the StockX prices.

02:54:42 - 02:54:49 | Speaker 5:

But the guy at Potmart, yeah, two grand. Are you out of your mind? Would you pay two or four grand? I wouldn't even pay.

02:54:49 - 02:54:53 | Speaker 4:

$6,000 for the LaBouBou Monsters LaBouBou pink one.

02:54:54 - 02:55:00 | Speaker 5:

Even in Europe, you have to be put into, at Potmart, you have to be put into like a lot. From how I understood this, you have to be put into a lot.

02:55:00 - 02:55:40 | Speaker 4:

lottery and then if your number or name or whatever is drawn then you have the option to purchase uh but now that my like lucy's like mom they apparently there's a a pot mart vending machine on a parking on the top of a parking garage in ferndale i'm like that i then i'm then i'm sitting here last night like going down this rabbit hole i'm like no loose that's not it's a rumor it's fake you know what what in the heck i go you only want one because everybody else wants one like jelly cats i understand they're they're cute you they're collect you can collect them all this is just these ones though weird to me these ones and the adults it's it's yeah i don't know

02:55:40 - 02:55:55 | Speaker 2:

where are they based is this is this something from china i don't know where pop mart is but pop mart is where you get them so i'm this happened i'm convinced that this is this is their way there's like hidden uh hidden things with these things like there's something that we're gonna

02:55:55 - 02:56:03 | Speaker 4:

I think I read somewhere made a billion and a half dollars overnight because of the Lububu crate.

02:56:04 - 02:56:19 | Speaker 2:

The Hong Kong Belgian designer, Cassine Leung, marketed and sold exclusively at China-based retailer, Popmart. Popmart. Pop, is that like a mini-mart?

02:56:19 - 02:56:23 | Speaker 4:

No, Popmart is, I don't even know how to describe it.

02:56:23 - 02:56:24 | Speaker 2:

Oh, they're like vending machines.

02:56:24 - 02:56:27 | Speaker 4:

Yes, but then there are stores as well.

02:56:27 - 02:56:32 | Speaker 2:

Have you guys ever eaten a pizza out of a vending machine? I see that one at the airport all the time. I want to try it.

02:56:32 - 02:56:39 | Speaker 3:

I hear it's amazing, though. Is it? Yeah, that's what I hear. Lee talks about it. Lee Robinson. He eats a pizza. That's so funny.

02:56:39 - 02:56:51 | Speaker 2:

Let me read more on this. La Boo Boo began as a character design back in 1972. Wow, this has been out since... We just found out about it? And it's been around since 1972?

02:56:52 - 02:56:53 | Speaker 3:

All it took was a Kardashian to wear it.

02:56:53 - 02:56:54 | Speaker 2:

Is that what it was?

02:56:55 - 02:56:55 | Speaker 3:

Probably.

02:56:55 - 02:57:12 | Speaker 2:

It was. Really? La Boo Boo. I'm telling you. I'm going to read something in here. Oh, political promotion. Let's see. Hold on. Let's go down to this thing. Uh-oh. Because you know it's like the Chinese Communist Party trying to take us over with TikTok. No, it doesn't say that.

02:57:12 - 02:57:12 | Speaker 3:

The commies?

02:57:12 - 02:57:31 | Speaker 2:

The commies. In September 2024, the People's Action League held a grocery distribution event. What the hell is this going on? Where they were giving this away as a promotional item. Lamb Bin Bin. What is that?

02:57:31 - 02:57:32 | Speaker 4:

I don't know.

02:57:32 - 02:57:41 | Speaker 2:

It's probably the other way you say La Boo Boo. Is that what it is? There's something with the name. Somebody needs to call us up and tell us if you know if there's any kind of thing there. What's going on, Monica?

02:57:41 - 02:57:46 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Mackinac City is flooded with these LeBuboos.

02:57:47 - 02:57:50 | Speaker 2:

What? Really? I thought Mackinac City was basically.

02:57:51 - 02:58:02 | Speaker 4:

Now, are they the real ones? Because Lucy was telling me how you can tell if they're real. Like, there was a store in Birmingham that supposedly had them, and then she was like, oh, no. Everybody's saying they're the fake ones. Mackinac City.

02:58:03 - 02:58:15 | Speaker 5:

We went online and we Googled something. I don't even remember exactly what it was to confirm if it was a real one or not. But also, I don't know if your kids have the Sonny's Angels is another one.

02:58:15 - 02:58:35 | Speaker 2:

My favorite was going to Mackinac City on Luke's eighth grade or sixth grade trip. And we went to the little shop there that they have in Mackinac City. And they had like poop emoji pillows. And they had t-shirts, you know, that all had weird designs on them that were that the teachers were some somewhat bummed out. I let the kids buy.

02:58:35 - 02:58:36 | Speaker 4:

I remember this.

02:58:36 - 02:58:43 | Speaker 2:

I got in so much trouble from Luke's Catholic School for that. What's up, Paul? It's Mojo in the morning. We're talking about LeBooBoo's.

02:58:44 - 02:59:05 | Speaker 1:

Hey, good morning. Yeah, so I saw a video about these LeBooBoo's, and I want you to look something up. It's called the Mesopotamian demon called Pazuzu. E-A-Z-U-Z-U. Wait. And it looks strangely similar to these LeBooBoo things that are going around. Wait a second.

02:59:05 - 02:59:10 | Speaker 2:

Are we saying is this a demonic thing? I mean, kind of. Yeah, kind of.

02:59:10 - 02:59:16 | Speaker 1:

That's what I, I mean, it looks pretty similar. Like, it might have been, like, inspiration from that or something. I don't know.

02:59:16 - 02:59:19 | Speaker 4:

Like the big mouth, maybe. I don't know.

02:59:19 - 02:59:22 | Speaker 1:

Like the sharp, pointy teeth and the crazy eyes and everything.

02:59:22 - 02:59:28 | Speaker 2:

Oh, here's one right here. Are La Boo Boo's demonic? Hold on a second. Let's find out.

02:59:29 - 02:59:37 | Speaker 3:

La Boo Boo. La Boo La Boo. La Boo Boo. If you slow it down and reverse it, you can hear it.

02:59:37 - 03:00:00 | Speaker 5:

These toys became extremely popular in recent years, especially across social media platforms. They sold out. Insufficient stock. And the boo-boo dolls have been spotted dangling off of celebrities. Okay, today we're going to talk about these dolls that have basically taken over the internet because for one thing, I have received so many comments and messages from you guys saying, Taylor, please talk about the la-boo-boo dolls, where I had to then unfortunately...

03:00:00 - 03:00:29 | Speaker 2:

unfortunately respond to many of you guys and say, guys, I am not going to be making a video on the LaBooBoo dolls because there is nothing demonic about them. And there really isn't anything to say that truly is mentally where I was about 24 hours ago. That is until I received an email with a little bit more information and a lot of things have been coming to the light. With that being said, we need to talk about them for very, very good reason. Let's dive in. All All right, when LaBooBoo's first made their way onto my TikTok for you page, I was...

03:00:29 - 03:00:35 | Speaker 3:

Real quick, are you sure you want me to continue to play this? Because their dad will not allow them to have this if you keep playing this.

03:00:36 - 03:00:37 | Speaker 5:

That's fine. You okay?

03:00:37 - 03:00:39 | Speaker 3:

Because I'm telling you, once we know these...

03:00:39 - 03:00:41 | Speaker 5:

I'm not buying them a LaBooBoo.

03:00:41 - 03:00:49 | Speaker 3:

I know you're going to get them. You say that you're not buying them something, and the next thing I know, you go, guys, I gave in, I bought it for my kids. You give everything to those kids.

03:00:50 - 03:00:52 | Speaker 5:

That's not true. Lucy still does not have a phone.

03:00:53 - 03:00:54 | Speaker 3:

That is true. Okay, no.

03:00:54 - 03:01:23 | Speaker 2:

actually scrolling at night because for one thing when i first saw these things my first initial reaction was that they were kind of ugly but also i felt they kind of looked demonic and when i went to the comment section i was met with a bunch of christians that actually were feeling the same way that i was feeling and i try not to ignore feelings like that because i don't want to ignore the holy spirit and i believe the holy spirit warns us when we should be staying away

03:01:23 - 03:01:29 | Speaker 3:

from something so lydia you know the holy spirit is this is this demonic yes it is demonic and

03:01:29 - 03:01:35 | Speaker 1:

what's interesting about it is a lot of chaldeans are going to get them and this mesopotamian demon

03:01:35 - 03:01:40 | Speaker 3:

derives from the chaldean community well it's funny because that's the girl i saw this weekend

03:01:40 - 03:01:47 | Speaker 1:

with it on her hermes purse yep they're all over birmingham it's crazy what's up mike how you doing

03:01:48 - 03:02:24 | Speaker 4:

Hey, what's up? How are you guys doing today? What's going on? Good. First of all, I want to say something about all this religious stuff. People thought Pokemon and Harry Potter was demonic, too. So that's just kind of out there. But what I wanted to say was my daughter, since I got her one, she started calling it her La Bussy. She don't know where it comes from, but I'm like, maybe we shouldn't call it that anymore. I think that's more scary than it being demonic is being called a labussi, to be honest with you. That might be my favorite one of them all.

03:02:25 - 03:02:28 | Speaker 3:

Susan, what's going on? Hi, Susan. It's Mojo in the morning.

03:02:29 - 03:02:35 | Speaker 6:

Hi, good morning. The Simpsons did actually predict that the Mabubus would come out, and they are pretty demonic.

03:02:36 - 03:02:37 | Speaker 5:

You said the Simpsons predicted it?

03:02:38 - 03:02:46 | Speaker 6:

Yes, they did. I think Marge got one for Maggie, and, you know, she was just being, you know, possessed by the doll.

03:02:47 - 03:02:54 | Speaker 3:

Wow. The Simpsons predicts everything, you know? That's crazy. I've got to find it. Hannah, what's happening? It's Mojo in the morning.

03:02:55 - 03:03:00 | Speaker 7:

Hi. So I'm 29, and I have three LeBooBoo.

03:03:00 - 03:03:01 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God.

03:03:03 - 03:03:16 | Speaker 7:

So it's all about the chase, essentially. You're buying them, and there are blind boxes. so you don't know what you're going to get. And so when you get the one that you don't want, you just buy another one until you get it. And there's like, go ahead.

03:03:16 - 03:03:21 | Speaker 3:

Are your three that you have valued at pretty good money? Did you get lucky on yours?

03:03:22 - 03:03:38 | Speaker 7:

I have one. So I recently went to Japan and I got one that it's hard to find. And that one's valued pretty high, but I like having them. So I'm not going to sell them. But a lot of people will buy them and buy a bunch of them and sell them at like ridiculous prices just to make money on it.

03:03:38 - 03:03:41 | Speaker 3:

How much money did you pay for your three?

03:03:42 - 03:03:53 | Speaker 7:

They're like 30 bucks a piece. So I got them at the normal price. But like I went, there's a store in Madison Heights that like had them up sold for like $70 for one box.

03:03:53 - 03:03:58 | Speaker 3:

We're hoping that they are demonic because then Shannon doesn't feel the pressure to buy them for her kids.

03:03:59 - 03:04:16 | Speaker 5:

It is such a weird thing. I'm so irritated by it because they keep asking. But at the same time as a mom, I'm like, but I kind of want to get it just to say I did it. Yeah. You know, you should call your kids up. I've seen more adults with them, too. Yeah.

03:04:16 - 03:04:20 | Speaker 3:

Hannah, would you let Shannon borrow like one of them? No, I'm back to you.

03:04:20 - 03:04:26 | Speaker 5:

And she would never get it back. I'm going to let it go. Are you kidding me? Well, like an Airbnb for La Boo Boo.

03:04:27 - 03:04:35 | Speaker 3:

Don't you think that's a great idea? Because you know in about, what, seven months or something like that, this LaBooBoo craze is over with and nobody's going to give a rat's ass about LaBooBoo.

03:04:35 - 03:04:44 | Speaker 5:

This was the damn Tamagotchi, and that thing drove me nuts for like four days, and I just donated all of them because I'm like, I found them in the bottom of the toy bins.

03:04:44 - 03:04:52 | Speaker 3:

What's up with, though, 20-somethings like you, Hannah, walking around with LaBooBoo's, or do you keep them somewhere in your house where nobody can see them?

03:04:53 - 03:05:00 | Speaker 7:

Sometimes I will put it, like, on my bag and carry it out with me, but usually, like, I'm, like,

03:05:00 - 03:05:08 | Speaker 3:

Like, I'm a gamer, too. So a lot of it's, like, just goes with, like, the look, you know, so they're, like, hanging up in my game room, and I have other collectibles and all that kind of stuff, so.

03:05:08 - 03:05:08 | Unknown:

Wow.

03:05:09 - 03:05:22 | Speaker 2:

To me, that just seems, you know, I don't know. It's interesting. But I guess it's like Nikes, like Jordans and stuff. Everybody fights for their own thing, so I can't. And StockX, give it up to StockX, man. They got everything on there, including LaBuboos.

03:05:24 - 03:05:24 | Speaker 3:

Yep.

03:05:24 - 03:05:26 | Speaker 2:

All right. Well, thank you for the call. I appreciate it, Hannah.

03:05:27 - 03:05:28 | Speaker 3:

No problem. All right. Bye.

03:05:28 - 03:05:32 | Speaker 2:

All right. Appreciate it. What did that guy's kid call him? The daughter called him? A pussy.

03:05:32 - 03:05:39 | Speaker 3:

A pussy. A pussy. Mojo in the morning has a shot for you to win $1,000 now. Pay your bills is on.

03:05:39 - 03:06:03 | Speaker 2:

Go enter that up on our website under the cash contest to win $1,000 to pay your bills so you can buy all the LaBuboos you want. Bank. 03:06:18 - 03:06:21 | Speaker 1:

For more Mojo. Mojo in the Morning.

03:06:22 - 03:06:25 | Speaker 3:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

03:06:25 - 03:06:45 | Speaker 2:

Second date update. What do we got here? We've got Michael and Chase. Oh, I like this. We've got two guys that are on the Second Date Update. A little same-sex relationship going on here right now. Michael getting ghosted. Michael, how are you?

03:06:46 - 03:06:49 | Speaker 3:

I've been better, but I'm all right. How are you?

03:06:50 - 03:07:11 | Speaker 2:

Good. How did you guys meet? We met on Grindr. Let me ask a question, because I do not have a Grindr account, no matter what people think. i ask my son this all the time my son jacob on grinder is it better because there's more abundance out there than going to tinder or going to hinge to uh to meet somebody is that why you go there

03:07:11 - 03:07:23 | Speaker 3:

because it's purely same sex relationships well not necessarily but tinder and hinge you have to match with someone whereas grinder you can just message them and then you don't have to wait for

03:07:23 - 03:07:34 | Speaker 2:

them to match with you for them to respond okay all right so what happened uh you guys went out on one date two dates and now you're not getting called back what's the story yeah we went out to

03:07:34 - 03:07:45 | Speaker 3:

dinner um but we did have sex after so um i don't know it went kind of fast i guess the sex or the

03:07:45 - 03:07:52 | Speaker 1:

dinner or the date the date okay like the whole thing the date to the sex yeah did you anticipate

03:07:52 - 03:08:12 | Speaker 3:

that happening like after talking to him on Grindr uh no not really but I kind of I think that like I was more open to it because when we talked I kind of seemed like he was open to shoot your dates and like maybe he was looking for something more serious so and not a one-night

03:08:12 - 03:08:32 | Speaker 2:

stand which is what you're feeling right now uh Chase is on the phone with us Chase will you say hello to michael uh hey hey hi hello chase what's going on what what is uh hey uh what is going on

03:08:32 - 03:08:46 | Speaker 1:

chase uh uh well you know it was just it was a great time and you know i thought it went well You know, it was, it's just sort of complicated.

03:08:47 - 03:08:48 | Speaker 2:

What's complicated?

03:08:50 - 03:09:41 | Speaker 1:

Well, you know, I mean, we hit it off and stuff like that. And, you know, you're, you're, he's just a sweet guy. And I really, I do like him. I mean, it's like, you know, so it's just hard. You know what I mean? It's like difficult. That's all. What's the but here? well the truth is i'm still in love with my ex you know and it just it just wasn't the same you know with him and uh it's it's not him it's me really who is like how fresh is this breakup from your ex um it's it's it's okay so it's about two weeks ago so it was about two weeks ago and when was

03:09:41 - 03:09:59 | Speaker 2:

the date michael it was just last week so do we believe chase no offense and don't get offended and hang up on us here it sounds to me like you were cheating on your boyfriend and you decided to go out with Michael.

03:10:00 - 03:10:02 | Speaker 7:

And now you're realizing that this is not a good situation.

03:10:03 - 03:10:12 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no, no, no, no. We were broken up. I was not cheating. What it is is if he wants to be along, I thought this would sort of help me get over him.

03:10:13 - 03:10:19 | Speaker 7:

Oh, so you kind of used him. Do you believe that? Shannon, Kevin, Michael?

03:10:19 - 03:10:21 | Speaker 3:

I do. You do? I do.

03:10:21 - 03:10:28 | Speaker 1:

I just think that it kind of sucks that that was the case.

03:10:28 - 03:10:40 | Speaker 3:

like he knew going in that he was not going in thinking that this could be the potential start of a new relationship. He was going in thinking this is going to help me. It was a very selfish thing.

03:10:41 - 03:10:41 | Unknown:

Yeah.

03:10:43 - 03:10:57 | Speaker 8:

I feel like I kind of believe him but at the same time when he hit us with the it's not me as you thing that kind of sounded a little contrived and a little false but I don't know. He probably still missed his ex and he won his ex.

03:10:59 - 03:11:11 | Speaker 7:

I get it. Do we think, though, that he should have said something to Michael about this? None of his business. I think, though, that you're going to – nobody wants to be the rebound. I'm saying he went to go get some buns, and that's what he got.

03:11:12 - 03:11:15 | Speaker 8:

And he's not in there looking for love. He's just mad he got played.

03:11:15 - 03:11:50 | Speaker 7:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, the telephone number. I'm going to say this to you. People, I don't want you to treat this like you would, you know, treat it special because it's Michael and Chase. I want you to treat it like you would treat it if it was a guy doing this to a girl or a girl doing this to a guy. I want you to tell me what you think of Chase going in for some when he still has feelings for his ex. I personally think Chase, what you did was wrong. Why, though? Because what Chase did, he's messing with Michael's feelings. Michael, you're hurt, right?

03:11:52 - 03:11:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it was really messed up. and he made it sound like he wanted something real, and I had no idea that he was right out of the relationship. He lied. He did.

03:12:00 - 03:12:17 | Speaker 7:

He wanted real sex. That's what he got. I know, but he lied to you. He lied to you about his intentions that night. He went into this thing trying to get over his ex by getting under Michael, and I think that that's not what exactly Michael was wanting. And, Michael, how often do you have sex on the first date?

03:12:18 - 03:12:23 | Speaker 4:

Not very often, and I had told him that, and I was like, I'm not really looking for a hookup. But you did it.

03:12:24 - 03:12:25 | Speaker 8:

What are you talking about?

03:12:25 - 03:12:31 | Speaker 4:

I know, but that was after we discussed it. It wasn't like I was just being crazy. What did y'all discuss?

03:12:31 - 03:12:34 | Speaker 8:

Did y'all discuss dating and potentially finding love?

03:12:34 - 03:12:38 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I said, I'm not looking for a hookup. I'm looking for something more serious.

03:12:39 - 03:12:42 | Speaker 8:

I don't want this to be like a one-time thing.

03:12:42 - 03:12:44 | Speaker 4:

And we hit it off on the date. No, that's not cool, Kev.

03:12:45 - 03:12:54 | Speaker 8:

Hold on. What I'm saying isn't cool. I'm just not of the cloth of, I don't do this. I don't do that. I don't do this. and then you do everything you said you don't do?

03:12:54 - 03:12:57 | Speaker 7:

Because he was taken by Chase. When did I say that?

03:12:58 - 03:12:58 | Speaker 4:

No.

03:12:58 - 03:13:01 | Speaker 8:

You said you don't sleep on the first date and then you woke up in his bed.

03:13:02 - 03:13:03 | Speaker 4:

No, I never said that either.

03:13:04 - 03:13:15 | Speaker 7:

I'm telling you, if this was a woman, you would be defending. And you would, whatever. You would be. Bruce, what's going on? How you doing? How's it going?

03:13:15 - 03:13:34 | Speaker 6:

What are your thoughts, Bruce? Man, I think he lying, man. I ain't gonna lie. You know, whether you – whatever your preference is. But I just think he lying. You know, it sounds like Ken said when he each out with that, but it ain't me, it's who, whatever. He lying, man. He lying, bro. Because if that was a man and a woman, come on, a man. I'll be lying all day. He lying.

03:13:36 - 03:13:37 | Speaker 7:

I'm just saying. I'm just saying.

03:13:37 - 03:13:38 | Speaker 6:

He lying, bro.

03:13:38 - 03:13:43 | Speaker 7:

He lying, bro. He's lying. Come on now. Which one's lying, though? Michael or Chase is lying? Which guy's lying? The guy that –

03:13:43 - 03:13:49 | Speaker 6:

The guy that caught in and talked about something. It's not me. It's you. That's the guy that's lying. Yeah.

03:13:49 - 03:13:57 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Okay, Chase. That's Chase. That's the guy's lion. And I agree with you on that, too. Michelle, what's going on, Michelle?

03:13:58 - 03:14:00 | Speaker 2:

I don't think Chase did anything wrong.

03:14:01 - 03:14:01 | Unknown:

Really?

03:14:02 - 03:14:16 | Speaker 2:

I think, no, I think he probably does want to go out on dates with someone else and get over the guy he's not dating anymore. Maybe he thought just going out might help him move on. I don't think he intentionally meant to hurt him when he went out with him.

03:14:16 - 03:14:23 | Speaker 7:

If this was War of the Roses, we'd be busting his ass. You know that. It would be totally a different story. Shiana, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

03:14:25 - 03:14:36 | Speaker 5:

Hi, Mojo. Hi. So I think Chase was a little selfish. He needed to be up front, and then Michael could have made a choice for himself. Yeah. It was a little selfish for Chase to be like that.

03:14:36 - 03:14:50 | Speaker 7:

I still have feelings for my ex, but maybe I'll have feelings for you. Let's go. You know what I mean? Just say that. I don't know, Michael, would you have still slept with him if he said that to you? Absolutely not. Okay, well, there you go. It wouldn't have worked for Chase.

03:14:50 - 03:14:57 | Speaker 3:

Well, because at least then you know what the risk is. Listen to this. I guess you know what the risk is anyway, but he kind of talked a different game.

03:14:58 - 03:15:00 | Speaker 7:

231 says, you don't look...

03:15:00 - 03:15:19 | Speaker 4:

for love on Grindr. Girl, please. And then listen to this one. This is a, it's almost similar one. 616 says, Grindr is a hookup site. The fact that he ghosted him and didn't just come clean is the problem. That's interesting because I don't know Grindr at all, but is Grindr the Tinder of gay apps? They say people get married.

03:15:19 - 03:15:22 | Speaker 1:

I was going to say, my best friend Kelly got married from Tinder.

03:15:22 - 03:15:29 | Speaker 4:

Okay, well. So, I don't know. I don't know. Michael, you're heartbroken, right?

03:15:29 - 03:15:36 | Speaker 3:

no definitely not i just think it's rude and annoying okay yeah i get that chase you and the

03:15:36 - 03:15:43 | Speaker 4:

ex back together again are you guys back uh hanging with each other uh no we're not actually

03:15:43 - 03:16:02 | Speaker 1:

uh uh but uh i i really learned my lesson on this and the point is you need some time i i do you know i'm talking to you guys and listening to everybody and then also uh i owe him an apology because it's just a jerk thing to do, and I'm sorry.

03:16:03 - 03:16:12 | Speaker 4:

I like that. You accept the apology, Michael? Yeah, I do. Thank you. Y'all should go out again. No. In a while. Give him some time.

03:16:12 - 03:16:13 | Speaker 1:

He's being honest.

03:16:13 - 03:16:20 | Speaker 2:

This is the home of the dirty on the 30. Throwback, throwdown. Second date update. In War of the Roses, this is Mojo in the Morning.
