00:01:24 - 00:01:32 | Speaker 5:

than just sex. Wes says that to me all the time, too, and I go, I roll my eyes. I say, you're just telling me that because you want to have sex.

00:01:32 - 00:01:56 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's the way to get it. I'm not going to lie. I would have loved to, but honestly, it was great. We just sat there and just talked. It was great. I had a good night, although I stayed up and did not fall asleep until midnight, and woke up at 3.30 this morning, so I guess I got three and a half hours working on adrenaline this morning, and ready for this? Uh-oh. There's a surprise. Ready? One. Two. No.

00:01:57 - 00:02:03 | Speaker 5:

Wait. I might have to have a half Z of one of those cold brews. You got to give Shannon half.

00:02:03 - 00:02:12 | Speaker 3:

I've got a Trenta and a Venti. Trenta Venti. Trenta Venti. Why don't they make. Is that 60? Why don't they make both of these together? Put them both into one.

00:02:12 - 00:02:13 | Speaker 5:

That would be Artadak.

00:02:14 - 00:02:15 | Speaker 4:

Kaji speaks Spanish. That's 60, right?

00:02:15 - 00:02:16 | Speaker 5:

That's instant anxiety.

00:02:16 - 00:02:17 | Speaker 4:

Trenta is 30, right?

00:02:18 - 00:02:21 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Trenta. So what's 60? A 60.

00:02:21 - 00:02:29 | Speaker 3:

You drinking 60? I got 60. No, because it's not sent out because it's only a... One's a grande. One's a grande. Oh.

00:02:29 - 00:02:38 | Speaker 2:

So it's like 45, 45. Wow. How do you know this stuff? I don't know. I can speak Spanish, but not my actual language. I'm supposed to know.

00:02:38 - 00:02:59 | Speaker 3:

Where are my Mexican people at today? Where are you guys at today? I'm a Espanol. I need to talk to you. Okay. Well, welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. I got a little bit of caffeine that I got to get into my system right now. I just want to put it in an IV right there into me.

00:02:59 - 00:03:01 | Speaker 4:

Can we talk drinks while we're talking that?

00:03:02 - 00:03:02 | Speaker 3:

Absolutely.

00:03:02 - 00:03:51 | Speaker 4:

So can we talk wine? Shannon, I know this is your territory. You're not a wino. I wouldn't just call you that. I saw you sit up a little straight. I know, I did. By the way, did you notice that? I did. I'm not joking. That was the most alert I've ever seen her. I'm interested in this topic. I think she unplugged her iPad. Everything changed. But let's talk wine for a second. As you know, I'm a Pinot Grigio guy. I love this about you. And I don't go to, like, a wine store. Like, I don't know if there's a specific spirits location that has the robust selection and you choose the top-shelf wines. I don't operate like that. But my best friend was telling me that her favorite wine is at Aldi. Never heard Aldi having good wine. Just never knew that was a thing. And she only pays $3. Oh, really? Is that, like, first off, is Aldi the spot for wine? And, like, where do you go to get wine, I guess?

00:03:51 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 5:

I mean, I get wine all over the place from like Kroger to party stores to Costco has really good wine. Trader Joe's really like you has really good wine.

00:04:02 - 00:04:16 | Speaker 3:

I don't I'm not a wine guy, but I would think that I would think wine would be something that you have to go and buy at like a like a true liquor store, party store. Not like I wouldn't think that a grocery store like Aldi would have good wine.

00:04:16 - 00:04:25 | Speaker 5:

Sometimes, yeah, you want to drop a little bit of money and get a really good bottle of wine. However, my favorite bottle of white wine is like $11.

00:04:25 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 3:

Really? Yes. Because I always think that whenever I see prices of, I think this with bourbons and stuff like that, the prices of the most expensive stuff, to me, I think must be the most tasteful. Not always. That's how they get us.

00:04:41 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 5:

I've had an expensive glass of wine thinking, this is going to be so good. This is going to be a treat. And it was terrible.

00:04:47 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 4:

So Audie is the spot.

00:04:49 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 5:

To be honest with you, I haven't been in an Aldi in years. I prefer Trader Joe's. Okay. But same thing for a while. Three Buck Chuck was the talk of... Three Buck Chuck. That's what they called it. Sounds like a good time. That's what they called it at Trader Joe's.

00:05:00 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 1:

it was it was a viral thing for a long time so why are you bringing this up what's the reason

00:05:04 - 00:05:35 | Speaker 4:

we were talking yesterday she's uh she lives out of the city and she was coming up yesterday where she was coming up next week and she had she's a wine drinker so i asked when she was drinking wine she literally reached out of her face time and pulled a bottle of wine that was an arm's length and we started to talk about like where'd you get that from she was like aldi it's only three dollars and i was like wait you spend three dollars on wine i never knew Because people equate, not necessarily quality with the finances, but to your point about the bourbon, the more you spend, you think you're getting a better taste.

00:05:36 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 1:

That's amazing, by the way. That's not the case with wine all the time.

00:05:39 - 00:05:52 | Speaker 3:

That's amazing. You would think that taxes would be $3 on that thing. That's unbelievable. She said $3.19 at Audi. They have anything that's $3.00. That's amazing. I'm talking about like a bottle. So it's not like a mini one.

00:05:52 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 4:

Not a mini bottle. Like a 30.

00:05:54 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 3:

So it's not a, like I always call them airline bottles. You know how in the airlines they have the little bottles. What's up, Rachel? Hi, it's Mojo in the morning. What's going on?

00:06:06 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 5:

Good morning, Mojo. Hi. I just want to say the more you pay, the better quality you're going to get. But if you're just looking for a cheap buzz, you can get something cheap. It's going to do the job.

00:06:17 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 1:

See, I disagree with you. I feel like there are definitely some, like, good, cheaper-priced wines that are better than the super expensive ones.

00:06:25 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 4:

And, Rachel, what do you mean by quality? Like, what's the quality wine?

00:06:30 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I can't afford it. You know what, though? I think you're going off of what you're thinking you're getting.

00:06:39 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 5:

What we've been told. Yeah, that's just what I'm thinking.

00:06:40 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:06:41 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 5:

I was actually calling in, too, because I'm fluent in Spanish.

00:06:44 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 3:

Yes. Nice. And was Bianca Spanish on point? Did she get that right?

00:06:50 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:06:51 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that amazing? And by the way, Bianca, you're not only can speak English, you can speak Spanish, but can't you also speak, what is the language of the Chaldean?

00:07:01 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 5:

I know like four words. That's what I'm saying. I don't know Chaldean, but I know like other languages.

00:07:05 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 3:

I thought she was going to say she can speak party. And that's on your parents not teaching you. Actually, I say she speaks 22-year-old girl because there are times where she says stuff to me. I'm going, what the hell is she talking about? What's up, Brett? How you doing? Good. How are you guys? Fantastic. We're talking wines here on the Mojo. Welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. How are you? We're going to do cheeses next and charcuterie boards. My favorite show ever. What's up, buddy?

00:07:32 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 2:

So my wife has always told me if you're looking for a sweet wine, you want to go higher in price. If you are a dry wine drinker, cheaper is okay.

00:07:44 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 3:

Really? Okay. Yeah. I don't know. And why do we trust your wife? Is she a drunk?

00:07:52 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 2:

No, but her aunt makes wine.

00:07:55 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay. Interesting. All right. It's funny. I'm not a big wine guy, and the only wines I like are like reds, and I like Pinot Noir as far as wine. And a buddy of mine goes, have you ever tried a Malbec? And I go, what's that? He goes, it's a cheaper wine. It was like a kind of – I don't know if it's Argentinian or something like that. Spanish. But it's actually very good. I like wines that aren't really dry. Like, I want something that, where they, because I don't, when they say, do you taste the fruits? Can you feel, I'm like, I don't taste the fruits. I taste like chalk, it seems like.

00:08:26 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 4:

I don't want to taste fruit when I'm drinking wine.

00:08:28 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 3:

You don't?

00:08:29 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 4:

No, that's what juice is for.

00:08:30 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 1:

But you like Pinot Grigio. Yeah, that's like sweet. White wines, a lot of times, are more fruity. It's dry.

00:08:37 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 4:

I equate dry.

00:08:38 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 1:

See, I like Sauvignon Blanc, which is very great food tasting. Okay.

00:08:41 - 00:08:46 | Speaker 4:

I've had some Blancs before, but I don't taste. I'm not in there like, hmm, I can taste the vines.

00:08:47 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 3:

My favorite is when you go to a restaurant and they'll bring out a bottle of wine and they want you to smell the thing or taste it at first. I have no clue what's going on. I've gone out with clients before. I went out with Brian Reif from Planet Fitness, and we got a bottle of wine at the table, and I was the one buying the meal, so I'm sitting there going, like snot going down in my nose into that big old cup. What's going on, Claudia?

00:09:11 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 5:

Hi, everyone. Good morning. Good morning. So I just want to tell Kevin that I buy the wine from Aldi. Okay. And it's class. Oh, it's so good. I love Aldi's wine. I buy it all the time.

00:09:27 - 00:09:30 | Speaker 3:

Is this Sofia Vergara? Because I'm getting turned on right now.

00:09:32 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 5:

No, not even close.

00:09:35 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 3:

What kind of wine are you drinking? What's your wine of choice?

00:09:38 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 5:

I like the, see, because I'm into, like, the fruity wine, so I like the sweet peach.

00:09:45 - 00:09:45 | Unknown:

Okay.

00:09:46 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 5:

And, oh, my goodness, during Christmas, they all be releases, this cranberry wine. It's left. It's left so hard. It's so good. That's awesome.

00:09:57 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 4:

The one my friend was talking about, it's a winking. Owl, and she gets like a moscato. Like, that's the one. What is moscato? What is that? I don't know. Drake, tell me about it. Like a very, very sweet white. Yeah. Thank you, Claudia. We love you, Claudia.

00:10:10 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 3:

It's more like a dessert wine.

00:10:12 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 4:

But, yeah, thank you. Thank you, guys. Love you, guys. Take care. See you. Have a blessed day. We love you, too. You, too. We love you, too. We love you, too. He's great. What's up, James? Hi. Hi. How are you guys doing this morning? Fantastic, James. You just ruined my buzz I just got off of Claudia. You got just a big old deep voice. I was loving her voice. What's going on?

00:10:35 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 3:

Oh, not much. My wife has actually lived in Italy for three years before we got together, and she is a Prosecco connoisseur, and she says Aldi's Wine and Sam's Club Prosecco are the closest to Italy. She's found in the United States, and we've bought like $100, $150 bottles before, and she takes one sip and pours it down the drain. Oh, wow.

00:11:03 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 2:

What a great endorsement for the Prosecco right there.

00:11:07 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. She loves it. So, yeah, and Sam's Club, I think, bottles of Prosecco are like eight, nine bucks a bottle. And then Sam's going with all these.

00:11:17 - 00:11:19 | Speaker 4:

How is the bounty on that wine?

00:11:19 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 2:

What does that mean? I don't know.

00:11:20 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 4:

I'm a wine person. I don't even know. I think you made that up. They always say it's got a big, a big bursting taste. It's like when they tell you this stuff And the bounty is amazing You ever see those guys They talk about their wine And I'm going you don't know crap Come on now I would like to have a Coke Zero And what kind of bounty do we have on that Which by the way that's my new one Is Coke Zero Hold on Nicole what's up Nicole how you doing

00:11:47 - 00:11:50 | Speaker 3:

Mojo I'm great how are you

00:11:50 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 4:

Yes I'm doing great You need to use your yacht guy voice Oh my god Talking about wine? Yacht Rock.

00:11:59 - 00:11:59 | Unknown:

What?

00:12:00 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 4:

I found a bouncy in there. I like wine from Aldi.

00:12:03 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. It's a perfect impression. I listened to it yesterday. Perfect.

00:12:07 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 4:

I'm telling you, if you ever listen to that station and you hear that guy on there, he goes, Yacht Rock. He does. What has happened to the show on this topic? This is unbelievable. We go from Yacht Rock to wines at Aldi. We even talk Spanish. This, by the way, is a grown-up version of what we used to talk about. Boobs and butts and burgers.

00:12:27 - 00:12:29 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's next hour. Come on.

00:12:29 - 00:12:37 | Speaker 5:

How smart are you? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events and you tell us what year it happened.

00:12:37 - 00:12:41 | Speaker 4:

It was the year that Beyonce announced that she was pregnant with her first child.

00:12:41 - 00:12:53 | Speaker 1:

God made me for this. This is beyond me. I was born for this. My body is going to do what it's supposed to do. Let it be. Relax. And it was the most beautiful experience of my life.

00:12:53 - 00:12:56 | Speaker 4:

30 Minutes or Less was the big movie.

00:12:56 - 00:13:00 | Speaker 5:

Business partners. Oh, yeah? What kind of business are you in?

00:13:03 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 4:

Entrepreneurs.

00:13:04 - 00:13:06 | Speaker 5:

It's not a business. You can't even pronounce it.

00:13:06 - 00:13:11 | Speaker 4:

And do you remember this Bruno Mars song? Don't feel like doing anything.

00:13:11 - 00:13:20 | Speaker 5:

Call us and tell us what year that stuff happened. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548.

00:13:21 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 4:

00:13:23 - 00:13:25 | Speaker 3:

00:13:45 - 00:13:45 | Speaker 3:

Can you whistle?

00:13:48 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Shannon, can you whistle?

00:13:50 - 00:13:55 | Speaker 4:

Wow, she's got a good one. It's clear. Shannon can do the whistle like, yeah. No, I can't.

00:13:55 - 00:14:00 | Speaker 2:

I wish I could with a, with a, yeah. Oh, I want to learn how to do that so bad. Get that tongue back.

00:14:00 - 00:14:19 | Speaker 4:

00:14:19 - 00:14:25 | Speaker 5:

00:14:25 - 00:14:49 | Speaker 2:

well some big congratulations are in order for detroit lions quarterback jared goth and his beautiful wife kristin yesterday they announced the arrival of their first baby a little girl they named romy isabel oh that's cute beautiful photos on instagram i am obsessed with her name so so sweet so congrats man yeah what an absolute beautiful family the picture that

00:14:49 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 4:

they posted too was spectacular mom holding baby dad looking at baby like this is the greatest thing ever yeah love that i'll tell you what that baby hopefully looks like mom

00:15:00 - 00:15:07 | Speaker 1:

Ah, you're crazy. What do you think he wants to hold more, the baby or a Lombardi trophy? You know what? I bet you. I'm going to say baby.

00:15:07 - 00:15:10 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, we'll say baby. I'm going to say baby. Closely follow.

00:15:10 - 00:15:15 | Speaker 2:

What do you want him holding more? The baby. We'll say that.

00:15:16 - 00:16:09 | Speaker 3:

Last week, it was Jay-Z. This week, Nicki Minaj seems to be picking a bone with SZA on X. Nicki tweeted, go draw your freckles back on, bookie. Another tweet says, liar, liar, pants on fire. you sound like an effing dead dog. She was responding to a tweet that SZA had made, which said, Mercury retrograde. Oh my goodness. Mercury retrograde. Don't take the bait, silly goose. And SZA responded to Nikki saying, I don't give an F about none of this weird spit you popping. And I think this all started over Nikki calling out Roc Nation's CEO Desiree Perez for being allegedly abusive. This has been a story for a little bit of time and it kind of spiraled from there. SZA obviously affiliated with Roc Nation. Wasn't she one of the founding people

00:16:09 - 00:16:41 | Speaker 1:

of Roc Nation? SZA? Nah, nah, nah. A lot of it. Are you sure? Yeah, nah. SZA wasn't popular like that around that time. Nicki Minaj was. She was a part of that. That's where the Jay-Z time comes in. I thought Roc Nation was founded by SZA. A big part of it though So, SZA's manager, and I can't think of his name right now, has been getting involved in, like, public spats with Nicki Minaj for quite some time. And she's also calling him out right now. And I think that's where kind of SZA popped in a little bit, too. She just, like, keeps going at people.

00:16:41 - 00:18:12 | Speaker 3:

I feel like kind of randomly, but okay. Clearing up something we talked about in The Dirty yesterday. Right now, yeah. Sydney Sweeney not currently in talks to play the next Bond girl, despite all of the online speculation. Allegedly, that casting conversation got put out there by hopeful fans. It's wishful thinking at this point. Nobody has actually thrown her name into the mix. She is not auditioning for that role. Nobody has been cast yet to take the 007 role from Daniel Craig at this point. So they're definitely, they need to do that before they start thinking about the Bond girl. I think people are still trying to figure out why she was at the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez. And we told you yesterday, it has to do with this lingerie line that she is about to drop and he is her like big investor. He's the guy behind that. Ariana Grande and Josh Gad, you probably know him best as the voice of Olaf in the Frozen movies. they are going to star in or they're going to lead the voice cast for the upcoming animated version of the dr seuss book or the places you'll go you guys ever read that one yeah yeah uh the musical film set for theatrical release in imax theaters in 2028 eight but it's already started production yeah and lastly a michigan lawmaker is pushing for students to learn to read and write cursive again it was dropped from the common core curriculum back in 2010 And we learned it in second grade, I think. Did you guys learn it?

00:18:12 - 00:18:12 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah.

00:18:12 - 00:18:14 | Speaker 1:

I learned it later than that.

00:18:14 - 00:18:17 | Speaker 2:

Wait, why is it that they stopped it? Because it's pointless.

00:18:18 - 00:19:11 | Speaker 3:

When do we use it? Because students mostly work on computers now. Like, I know when Lucy does papers, she will write them out. But then, really, the final version is done on the computer. But this representative from Pontiac, Brenda Carter, introduced a house bill which would require the Michigan Department of Education to develop a list of cursive inclusive programs by June of 2027. And really, she said a lot of kids today, the majority of kids are not being taught how to read or write in cursive. And she said that is a foundational skill that not only enables them to sign their own name on official documents as they grow older, but it also gives them access to be able to read historic documents, including many of our nation's founding texts. So she just said, it is something important that we should probably at least give the option for schools to include.

00:19:11 - 00:19:15 | Speaker 2:

That actually is kind of interesting, though. Like, if you're reading a document like the Declaration.

00:19:16 - 00:19:19 | Speaker 1:

When's the last time you read the Declaration of Independence? I haven't, but I'm just saying. All right, then nobody has.

00:19:19 - 00:19:28 | Speaker 2:

But also, when you're signing stuff, are you signing it with a print or are you signing it actually as a signature?

00:19:28 - 00:19:40 | Speaker 1:

I mean, I scribble. I mean, I use Adobe. You use the auto pen. Do I need a whole class to learn how to sign my name? Like, no, that's an after-school program. Teach my kid about taxes.

00:19:40 - 00:19:45 | Speaker 3:

Catch up on everything you missed in the Dirty this week by checking out the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app.

00:19:46 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 2:

Go celebrity dirt. Directly from the source. It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Your call may be monitored or recorded. All right, we're giving you a chance to win right now, Deanne.

00:20:00 - 00:20:01 | Speaker 3:

You're a winner. Congratulations.

00:20:03 - 00:20:06 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh. I'm so excited. I cannot believe this.

00:20:06 - 00:20:12 | Speaker 3:

Deanne, a brand-new car, a 2025 loaded Chevy Trax, or $20,000.

00:20:13 - 00:20:17 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh. This is amazing. This is amazing.

00:20:18 - 00:20:24 | Speaker 3:

Gordon Chevrolet, a week from tomorrow, will do the grand finale of this thing, playing a throwback throwdown.

00:20:25 - 00:20:26 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that's amazing.

00:20:27 - 00:20:35 | Speaker 3:

If we were playing throwback throwdown, who would you have play for you to win this car? Would you pick Shannon? Would you pick Kev? Would you pick Mike? Maybe our boss?

00:20:35 - 00:20:42 | Speaker 4:

I would pick Shannon. What? All right. Yeah. She's surprised even me. Why?

00:20:42 - 00:20:43 | Speaker 3:

Why would you go Shannon?

00:20:45 - 00:20:48 | Speaker 4:

Because she's amazing. She knows all the songs.

00:20:48 - 00:20:48 | Unknown:

All right.

00:20:49 - 00:21:00 | Speaker 3:

Can't argue with the first half of that. Kevin gets very, very temperamental when it comes to this. You know how bad he is when he loses a round of throwback throwdown? Imagine when he loses it for a car.

00:21:01 - 00:21:03 | Speaker 4:

I can't go through that again. I know.

00:21:03 - 00:21:08 | Speaker 3:

Hey, we got a $50 gas card to Kroger, courtesy of Green Flame Tequila, for you. Hang on the phone, okay?

00:21:09 - 00:21:10 | Speaker 4:

Okay, great. Thank you so much.

00:21:11 - 00:21:15 | Speaker 3:

Controversy behind the five at 6.55 next on Mojo in the Morning.

00:21:16 - 00:21:32 | Speaker 1:

Mojo, 2025 Radio Hall of Fame inductee. Congrats on all your life accomplishments. You can parallel park. You can use a washer and dryer. And you can take the dogs out before they pee in the house. Oh, and congrats on the Hall of Fame, too. It's Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55.

00:21:33 - 00:21:38 | Speaker 2:

5 at 6.55, yo, 5 at 6.55, go now.

00:21:38 - 00:22:42 | Speaker 3:

All right, it is the Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55. Got a little bit of a controversy, okay? A little bit of a controversy here. Yesterday morning, the 5 at 6.55, Kevin called out our champion, And that champion was Jeff, who beat the Port-A-Potty Queen, Gail. And I don't know if you guys remember that, but Jeff was on with us and he won. Well, Kevin said, I think somebody is helping Jeff. You could hear it in the background. And I said, no, nobody was helping Jeff. That was my voice coming across. Well, I like to listen to the show when it's over with, to hear how we sounded that day. Also, to get a little entertained. I like our show. I'm the biggest fan. Not a first time, not a long time. But a long time, I guess. An all time. Jeff? Yes, sir, I'm here. I listened back to the podcast yesterday, and I heard somebody whispering to you the answers.

00:22:43 - 00:22:50 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, nobody was whispering the answers, actually. That was my wife making fun of me because I didn't know everybody loves Raymond.

00:22:50 - 00:23:28 | Speaker 3:

Oh, well, no, I'm not even talking about that. I'm not even talking about that. No, because that was another question, and I have an interesting thought on that. So I listen back to it, and I want you to hear one of the questions and listen in the background to your wife whispering the answer, okay? Take a listen. Question number two. Sydney Sweeney is reportedly about to drop a lingerie line thanks to her Amazon boss friend who's helping her out. Who is he? I heard somebody whisper. I think that might be my voice. Ah, did you hear that? Did you hear the background there?

00:23:28 - 00:23:31 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I guess I did. I don't pay attention, though, but yeah. To your wife?

00:23:31 - 00:23:35 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, your wife said Jeff Pesos. Don't get yourself in more trouble than you're already in.

00:23:36 - 00:23:41 | Speaker 5:

No, no, no. No, no. Trust me, I'm not even paying attention to her when I'm playing this game.

00:23:41 - 00:24:20 | Speaker 3:

Oh, now you're going to get in trouble with her if we're not paying attention. Okay, so let me tell you the other controversy. The other controversy is that I've never known of anybody to call it Everybody Loves Ray. It's always Everybody Loves Raymond. And the first contestant was Gail, the port-a-potty lady. She said Everybody Loves Ray. And there have been reports that sometimes people will listen to the 5 of 655 and hear the person before them answer, and then they'll have somebody tell them the answers, which your answer was coincidentally. Question number three, Ray Romano is going viral this morning for performing Eminem's Lose Yourself at the Celebrity Golf Tournament in Tahoe. What was the name of Ray's long-time-running sitcom? Everybody Loves Ray.

00:24:20 - 00:24:21 | Unknown:

No.

00:24:21 - 00:24:50 | Speaker 3:

Which was the same answer that she gave. So here's the thoughts on this one here. I don't want to completely get rid of you. I want to give you a second chance because this is a show of chances. If we didn't have chances, we'd probably be fired years ago. But we're going to bring Gail back with us this morning to play in a rematch. Gail, are you there? Good morning. I'm here. Hi. port-a-potty gail say hello to cheating jeff i don't know say hello to jeff

00:24:50 - 00:24:56 | Speaker 5:

hi jeff we're not gonna call you a cheater okay thank you good morning gail so here's

00:24:56 - 00:25:00 | Speaker 3:

what i'm going to do we're gonna rematch we're gonna call

00:25:00 - 00:25:20 | Speaker 2:

Call it a day, all right? We're going to have Jeff go first this time, and then Gail goes second. And if we have a tie, tie will go to us asking a tiebreaker question, know the show. But we're going to see how Jeff does going first this time. Gail, promise me you don't cheat.

00:25:20 - 00:25:24 | Speaker 1:

That's good. All right? I don't cheat. I listen to you on the app, so no cheating.

00:25:24 - 00:26:21 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Gail cleans out port-a-potty. She's used to number twos. There you go. Did you write that? I looked at you, and you read that off of a script, didn't you? No, it's pretty stuff. All right, I'm locking you up in a soundproof area, Gail. We'll talk to you in just a second, okay? Thank you. Five pop culture trivia questions. It's your chance to see how you do in the 5 of 655. Jeff, question number one, and tell your wife to please not say anything. I'm not even by her. Okay, good. Reese Witherspoon can't keep her hands off her new boyfriend in some vacation photos that a paparazzi captured this week. What was the name of her character in the Legally Blonde movies? Al Woods. Question number two. Shannon will have more about this in The Dirty coming up in a second, but an American Idol executive and her husband were murdered in their home this week. Who is the longtime host of American Idol?

00:26:22 - 00:26:23 | Speaker 1:

Ryan Seacrest.

00:26:23 - 00:26:37 | Speaker 2:

Question number three. This Australian children's show with characters Mom, Dad, and Bingo is the number one most streamed show in the U.S. What's it called?

00:26:38 - 00:26:41 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm not even sure what that one is, actually. Pass.

00:26:42 - 00:26:54 | Speaker 2:

Question number four. Jared Goff is a dad. He and his wife had a baby girl. They named that girl Romy Isabel. What's Goff's jersey number?

00:26:55 - 00:26:58 | Speaker 1:

Well, that's my favorite team, number 16.

00:26:58 - 00:27:09 | Speaker 2:

And the last question is going to be an audio question. Question number five. Today is this Anchorman star's 58th birthday.

00:27:09 - 00:27:18 | Speaker 1:

Brick, are you just looking at things in the office and saying that you love them? I love Lamp. Do you really love the Lamp or are you just saying it because you saw it?

00:27:19 - 00:27:20 | Speaker 2:

What's his name?

00:27:21 - 00:27:23 | Speaker 1:

The character or the actor?

00:27:23 - 00:27:25 | Speaker 2:

What is the actor's name?

00:27:26 - 00:27:27 | Speaker 1:

Will Ferrell.

00:27:27 - 00:27:33 | Speaker 2:

Let's bring the champ back from a soundproof area. I think he redeemed himself. I think so, too, Jeff. You got four out of five.

00:27:33 - 00:27:34 | Speaker 1:

Nice.

00:27:35 - 00:27:39 | Speaker 2:

But there is a chance. There is a chance for you, Gail. Four out of five is what you got to beat.

00:27:40 - 00:27:41 | Speaker 1:

Let's do it.

00:27:41 - 00:27:55 | Speaker 2:

All right. Question number one. Reese Witherspoon can't keep her hands off her new boyfriend in some vacation photos that the paparazzi captured this week? What's the name of her character in the Legally Blonde movies?

00:27:56 - 00:27:57 | Speaker 1:

Elle Woods.

00:27:57 - 00:28:19 | Speaker 2:

Correct. One to one. Question number two. There's a big story this morning about American Idol executive and her husband who were murdered in their home this week. We will talk about that coming up in Shannon's Dirty on the 30 in about 30 minutes. Who is the longtime host of American Idol? Three seconds.

00:28:20 - 00:28:23 | Speaker 1:

Three, two, and a half.

00:28:24 - 00:28:26 | Speaker 2:

Wow. Ryan Seacrest.

00:28:26 - 00:28:27 | Speaker 1:

I've had a hard time with that name.

00:28:27 - 00:28:28 | Speaker 2:

Ryan Seacrest.

00:28:28 - 00:28:29 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, one to two.

00:28:29 - 00:28:47 | Speaker 2:

You cannot miss any of these other questions, and this next question is the only question Jeff missed. Question number three. This Australian children's show with characters Mom, Dad, and Bingo is the number one most streamed show in the U.S. What's it called?

00:28:49 - 00:28:54 | Speaker 1:

Bluey. Yes. Two to two. There is a chance. I love having grandkids.

00:28:55 - 00:29:14 | Speaker 2:

There's a chance for a tie here today. Let's see what happens. Question number four. Jared Goff is a dad. He and his wife had a baby girl. They named her Romy Isabel. What's Goff's jersey number? 32.

00:29:15 - 00:29:16 | Unknown:

Oh, damn.

00:29:16 - 00:29:22 | Speaker 2:

Jeff's our champ. Jeff's our champ. And Jeff's our champ winner. Congratulations.

00:29:24 - 00:29:26 | Speaker 1:

The game never lied.

00:29:26 - 00:29:43 | Speaker 2:

There you go. Congratulations to you, Jeff. You redeemed yourself. We're very happy about that. I actually am very happy about that because I want to see the guy get a chance. It's not his fault that his wife was trying to feed him the answers. Maybe she just didn't know the rules.

00:29:44 - 00:29:46 | Speaker 1:

He's a big mouth and likes to play the game with.

00:29:46 - 00:30:01 | Speaker 2:

No, no, no, dude, don't call her a big mouth. Now, I may be the dumbest husband in the world. Now you're taking those reins. You cannot do that, Jeff. You call her a sweetheart that you love so much because she can still steal half, okay? That's right.

00:30:01 - 00:30:03 | Speaker 1:

Well, good job, Jeff. Thanks for letting me play again.

00:30:04 - 00:30:04 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's so nice.

00:30:05 - 00:30:07 | Speaker 1:

Hey, here's the deal.

00:30:08 - 00:30:15 | Speaker 2:

Gail, yesterday you won a $50 checkers gift card. Today you win another one. You got $100. Oh, you're going to be crazy.

00:30:15 - 00:30:20 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh, that's so awesome.

00:30:21 - 00:30:25 | Speaker 2:

She's going to buy the restaurant. Man, that's a down payment.

00:30:25 - 00:30:33 | Speaker 1:

I had to cross the street from a checkers, so that's awesome. That's awesome. It's Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55.

00:31:46 - 00:31:46 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

00:31:47 - 00:31:54 | Speaker 2:

Lie number one, you're going to say, Mom, I got written up at work. Lie number two.

00:31:54 - 00:31:57 | Speaker 1:

Lie number three. She says she knew you from high school. Lie number four. She said you were kissing on her man and everybody's man.

00:32:09 - 00:32:09 | Unknown:

Okay.

00:32:10 - 00:32:15 | Speaker 2:

Lie number five. She's telling the whole hospital about it.

00:32:16 - 00:32:17 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

00:32:18 - 00:32:21 | Speaker 2:

Is your mom the type that likes to kiss up on guys? Okay.

00:32:24 - 00:32:31 | Speaker 1:

Wouldn't it be crazy to find out that your mom was?

00:32:31 - 00:32:32 | Speaker 2:

I mean, just from doing this?

00:32:34 - 00:32:34 | Speaker 1:

Very.

00:32:35 - 00:32:42 | Speaker 2:

We're calling your mom up. You got to do five lies. If you get through them all, you win mom a prize, okay? Okay.

Hi.

00:34:34 - 00:34:37 | Speaker 2:

We're just doing an investigation here on this incident.

00:34:38 - 00:34:39 | Speaker 1:

I can't hardly hear you.

00:34:39 - 00:34:41 | Speaker 2:

Yes, can you hear me? Hello?

00:34:41 - 00:34:43 | Speaker 1:

I can hear you now, yes. I can hear you now.

00:34:43 - 00:34:48 | Speaker 2:

We're doing an investigation on this fight between, is this your daughter here?

00:34:49 - 00:34:50 | Speaker 1:

Yes, it is.

00:34:50 - 00:34:53 | Speaker 2:

Okay, and this is her mother, Mary?

00:34:54 - 00:34:55 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

00:34:55 - 00:35:11 | Speaker 2:

Mary, I understand that you are quite... The lady in high school, huh? No, I wasn't. I just took a report from the lady that your daughter just beat up, and she said that you were kissing up on every single guy in high school.

00:35:12 - 00:35:12 | Unknown:

What?

00:35:14 - 00:35:15 | Speaker 3:

No, I was not.

00:35:16 - 00:35:18 | Speaker 2:

Aisha, did she not say that? She said that, right?

00:35:18 - 00:35:30 | Speaker 3:

She only had two friends I hung out with in high school. That was my best friend, Carissa, that stayed in Grand Rapids. And my other friend, Patricia, she passed. I'm the only two friends I've ever hung out with.

00:35:30 - 00:35:36 | Speaker 2:

This other lady here just said, this other lady said that Mary was a hoe. And I said, you can't say things like that.

00:35:38 - 00:35:39 | Unknown:

You know what I'm saying?

00:35:39 - 00:35:40 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

00:35:41 - 00:35:42 | Speaker 3:

Are you serious?

00:35:42 - 00:35:48 | Speaker 2:

I can't believe it. I'm dumbfounded by it, but I also would like to know. Are you single?

00:35:48 - 00:35:55 | Speaker 3:

No, I did not. I have no idea what you're talking about. They said, they called you Mary with the mouth.

00:35:55 - 00:35:56 | Speaker 2:

That's what they called you.

00:35:56 - 00:36:02 | Speaker 3:

Well, that's a lie. That's a lie. That's a lie. By the way. I don't care what they say. That's a lie.

00:36:02 - 00:36:07 | Speaker 2:

I'm afraid this woman is going to get so worked up on this one. She's going to get crazy. Aisha, do you want to tell your mom what the story is?

00:36:10 - 00:36:17 | Speaker 3:

This is ridiculous. What? You're on the radio. Are you serious?

00:36:18 - 00:36:20 | Speaker 2:

Mom, this is Mojo in the morning.

00:36:21 - 00:36:25 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. I can't believe Mojo got me and I listened to y'all all the time.

00:36:25 - 00:36:31 | Speaker 2:

You're on Five Lies to Tell Your Mom. You're married with a mom.

00:36:31 - 00:36:46 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. I listen to y'all all the time. I be like, how can them people fall for that? Oh, my God. You know what, Mojo? I'm going to give it to y'all. Y'all good. Y'all got me. Y'all good. Oh, my God.

00:36:48 - 00:36:51 | Speaker 2:

Say hi to everybody.

00:36:51 - 00:36:56 | Speaker 3:

This is Mojo the Mojo. Yeah. Oh, my God, I can't believe y'all got me. Oh, my goodness.

00:36:56 - 00:37:02 | Speaker 2:

Aisha, what would you have done if your mom actually was kissing up on guys? How would that make you feel?

00:37:04 - 00:37:12 | Speaker 3:

My goodness, I can't believe y'all got me. Many times I listen to y'all and how I get everybody else. I never thought I would be the one.

00:37:12 - 00:37:15 | Speaker 2:

Well, say hi to everybody. You're on the radio right now. Say hi, Mary.

00:37:16 - 00:37:22 | Speaker 3:

Hi, everybody. My daughter got a joke on me. And Mojo got me, too. Y'all got me good today.

00:37:22 - 00:37:23 | Speaker 2:

We love you.

00:37:23 - 00:37:28 | Speaker 3:

I love y'all radio station. I love Mojo on this station. I listen to y'all every day.

00:37:28 - 00:37:33 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. They're the best. You make us feel so good. Thank you, Mary. Hold on. We got to get your prize.

00:37:34 - 00:37:38 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Okay. It's Mojo in the Morning. Five to me. Four, five.

00:37:38 - 00:37:39 | Unknown:

Sweet.

00:37:39 - 00:37:41 | Speaker 3:

Five lies to tell your mama.

Mojo in the Morning. Home of the War of the Roses. Second date update in the Dirty on the 30. mojo shannon kev all hanging out here with everybody together we're excited that you guys are with us and joining us today uh shannon this is a big moment for you because it kind of remembers a little bit of what you had at this time but uh your uh daughter i can't believe i'm saying this like this is going to make me feel like really old lucy has her first job how is that that's unbelievable she's a stock broker on the new york stock exchange honestly do you ever look at your kids are so smart do you look at your kids and say to yourself smith is going to be you know a lawyer lucy's going to be a doctor because i used to look at my kids first of all i never thought that a my oldest son would go into radio so i never thought that i kind of prayed he didn't um but he's doing great and then i got a middle son who's going to be a doctor in psychology like i never thought that it's not yeah i mean i knew jacob would do something great but that's amazing and he's going to be helping people helping the world and then luke a drug dealer you got everything he'll own a medicinal marijuana or i don't know make a billion dollars right but you ever look at your kids and wonder what they're going to do in

00:39:06 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 1:

life yeah absolutely i think smith who is eight is going to do something really creative like he'll be honestly he'll be like a famous fashion designer or something knowing him lucy loves building and stuff so i could see her being i don't know and like an architect or an engineer like her brain works that way she loves legos and drawing things and so but she is not going to do any of those things today she is not a stockbroker obviously but she has her first babysitting job today okay and she last night we were going to bed she's so excited and so nervous at the same time she's watching one of my best girlfriend's five-year-old daughters while my friend goes to get her hair cut and they live in the neighborhood like a couple of streets over and it'll probably be for an hour but for lucy this is a really really big deal that she has her very first babysitting job and as i was going to bed last night i kept thinking

00:40:00 - 00:41:39 | Speaker 5:

to myself, I remember my first babysitting job and it did not go well. So I hope that Lucy's day today goes better than my first. And it was probably right around her age. She's going to sixth grade. I think maybe I was in seventh grade when I babysat for this little girl down the street. Her name was Rachel. I'll never forget. And when I got there, I was really into the Babysitter's Club book series. And so in the Babysitter's Club book series, they had these things called kid kits. So I made my own kid kit and it's, it was basically a shoebox filled with all sorts of books and crafts and things for your, the kid that you were babysitting to do. And, and so I, I like showed up to the house and I had my little kid kit. I was ready to go. I feel like I had anticipated everything that could possibly happen. And the mom, before she left she was like hey so i'm going through a divorce right now and if my ex-husband if rachel's dad shows up when i'm gone make sure that you lock all of the doors and go downstairs in the basement bathroom and lock and lock the door and don't let him in i don't think i would have called my mom and told her that she would have said come home immediately but i didn't have a cell phone yeah that's wild she's like all right thanks bye he did come oh my god and he did knock at the door and i did exactly what she said we just went downstairs in the basement and didn't answer the door and that was that nothing else happened What was so bad about that? How flipping scary.

00:41:39 - 00:41:43 | Speaker 4:

I gotta know. Was he a bad boy? I have no. He had to be.

00:41:43 - 00:41:46 | Speaker 5:

I was 12 years old. I didn't know the story.

00:41:46 - 00:41:46 | Speaker 4:

That's crazy.

00:41:46 - 00:41:55 | Speaker 5:

But the fact that she thought it was okay to bring a 7th grader into her house in that situation to watch her kid was wild to me.

00:41:55 - 00:42:14 | Speaker 4:

I want to hear reminiscing right now of your first babysitting job and what went wrong. Is there any other listeners that have a moment like that? Lydia, Bianca, did you guys babysit at all? I don't know if I'd let Bianca babysit. That was my first job, too. Was it really Bianca? No.

00:42:15 - 00:42:19 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, that's my third job. Every day.

00:42:19 - 00:42:21 | Speaker 4:

Did you ever have anything go crazy at all, Lydia?

00:42:21 - 00:42:34 | Speaker 1:

No, nothing crazy, but I do remember spending my first check on a Victoria's Secret bra, and I was 14 years old. That's your first check? Yeah, I wanted those bombshell bras. The push-ups. Yeah, now I ended up with triple the boobs.

00:42:35 - 00:42:48 | Speaker 4:

That's insane, see? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I'd love to hear you guys tell us a little bit about your first babysitting job gone wrong and what crazy thing happened.

00:42:48 - 00:42:51 | Speaker 3:

Now, Shanna, you said you started with the babysitter's kit.

00:42:52 - 00:42:56 | Speaker 5:

The babysitter's club, the kid kits, yes. Anybody who ever read those books will remember that.

00:42:56 - 00:42:58 | Speaker 3:

Is Lucy preparing for her job?

00:42:59 - 00:43:10 | Speaker 5:

I don't know what. I'm sure she will, knowing Lucy. And for her, again, it's an hour, but she's thinking it's like an all-day thing. She's excited.

00:43:10 - 00:43:17 | Speaker 4:

Are you going to help her babysit? Because it's funny. You're talking about how you are just like a block or so away.

00:43:17 - 00:43:20 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, and she'll have her Apple Watch on her. Will you hover a little bit or not? Yeah, I'm going to hover.

00:43:20 - 00:43:22 | Speaker 3:

She'll be the dad that showed up at the house.

00:43:24 - 00:43:44 | Speaker 4:

You know, it's funny. My first job was, you guys don't even know what newspapers are probably, but it was a newspaper delivery. I remember my mom did my job for me. That's how bad it was. I never babysat at all. But it's funny, our best babysitters we ever had is when the kids were really, really little. We're like the boys in the neighborhood that would play with them all day outside.

00:43:44 - 00:44:00 | Speaker 5:

So she's trying to make some money. She's trying to save up money. So she's offered her services to all of my friends to be, they say, a mother's helper. So really she would go over to the house when my friends are there and take their kids to the park or something or just play with them there. So this is a little bit more freedom than that.

00:44:00 - 00:44:28 | Speaker 3:

I watched my nephew, Delano. Well, he kind of like my nephew, more like my first cousin. He my cousin's kid. He basically like my little brother. I watched him one time, and I did such a bad job. I never could watch him again alone. I had that boy on the treadmill. And I think he was like, I think I was in high school, and he couldn't have been 10 years old. And I was like, let's see how fast you can go, Delano. And I put it up to like seven, and obviously he fell off in his face. That was the last time they ever let me watch anybody.

00:44:29 - 00:44:30 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Nancy, what's up?

00:44:30 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 2:

hey i was babysitting the kids down the block and the parents had like one of those eight millimeter you know cameras film projectors yeah and next to it there was a star wars tape right i get them all ready we're sitting down i turn it on what do you think's on porno you are lying wow i was freaking out i'm like oh my god no no no no i jump in front of it there's things going on Boogie Nights.

00:45:00 - 00:45:22 | Speaker 5:

You know, that's actually funny. We had a girl babysit for us. It was a neighborhood kid, and her dad thought that she was watching porn at our house, that I had porn at our house, and it was, she grabbed a movie from our DVD stack, and it was American Pie. I had American Pie, and the girl was talking about the naked people in the movie, and he got all upset about that. Stifler's mom. What's up, Brett? How you doing?

00:45:24 - 00:45:55 | Speaker 7:

Hey, what's going on? No, for real. That's the first time, long time. Hey, Brett's on the phone. Oh, good morning. Oh, this is pretty awesome. Yeah, my first babysitting job was for my neighbors, and they were little girls. And, you know, I didn't really know what to do, but by the time the parents got home, I had ties in my hair, I had makeup on, stickers all over me. I love it. My fingers and nails were all done.

00:45:56 - 00:46:06 | Speaker 5:

Why did we all have that look on our face when he first started? I'm sorry, Brett, that we had bad thoughts in our head of you out there babysitting. Lisa, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

00:46:07 - 00:46:10 | Speaker 6:

Hey, Mojo. First time along. Hey, Lisa.

00:46:12 - 00:46:15 | Speaker 5:

Welcome to the show. What's going on? Tell us about your first babysitting job.

00:46:15 - 00:46:48 | Speaker 6:

I was about 12. The neighbors asked me to babysit their little girl who was about eight on New Year's Eve. And I was so excited. I understand that completely. So I go down there and the people leave for New Year's Eve. And a little girl goes and puts on her brand-new pair of shoes, gets up on the couch and walks all over the couch with her new shoes on and kept sticking her fingers in her butt and smelling it. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. That was you, actually. Don't forget that one. And then we both got really scared, and we went and got kitchen knives and walked all over the house with our kitchen knives because I was petrified, too.

00:46:48 - 00:46:55 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. By the way, I was worried about Brett. Dallas, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning. Hi.

00:46:55 - 00:48:12 | Speaker 4:

hey what's going on guys good morning good morning what's going on your first babysitting job did you babysit or did you well actually the story is interesting but it was my little brother i was probably about 12 so he was about two yeah my big brother decided to uh put my little brother in this telescope case closed it and locked it oh no it was he you know just he weighed into my little brother got impatient and started crying so he tried to open it he could not open the box oh no it locked yeah it was locked so i went and tried to open it and i couldn't open it either oh geez so we started panicking i ran and got a knife oh god i started jamming holes into the uh hey i was being smart right trying to make sure he had air um and we still couldn't get it open So I ran across the street. I got my neighbor. It was an older guy probably in his 30s, 40s or whatever. But he came over, crossed to the house, opened up the case, got him out. My little brother was freaking out through the day. It's claustrophobic. Oh, my God. That's unreal. Yeah, yeah. But every time he tells a story, he says, hey. And I just, it kind of pisses me off because I keep saying, hey, man, I didn't like you. And I'm the one that punch holes with knives. You almost stabbed him.

00:48:12 - 00:48:43 | Speaker 3:

uh sean what's going on hi crazy how you doing lojo good morning everybody morning we're talking about the first babysitting job you had absolutely yeah i was like nine ten years old was babysitting my cousin and made the mistake of watching wrestling he wanted to try some moves and so So I tried to show him some moves, and he ended up getting a concussion. Oh, my God.

00:48:43 - 00:48:51 | Speaker 5:

By the way, I thought it was cool to have a guy as a babysitter. This is not cool. Look at these people. They're just nuts. Eve, what was your first babysitting job?

00:48:53 - 00:49:15 | Speaker 1:

They told me that I had to have her take a bath before she went to bed. And I was only nine. She was five. And I told her, okay, you need to go take a bath. I drew the water, and she refused to take a bath. And I'm like, okay, you need to take a bath one way or another. And she's like, no, I'm not going to take a bath. So I tossed her in, closing all. I'm like, you need to take a bath, and you're going to take a bath one way or another.

00:49:15 - 00:49:16 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

00:49:16 - 00:49:17 | Speaker 1:

So I was closing all, and she took a bath. Okay.

00:49:18 - 00:49:29 | Speaker 5:

I'll question the parents. By the way, who is letting these kids bury? That's unreal. I'm just going to throw them in the thing. By the way, the kid's no longer alive. What's going on? Megan, your first babysitting job?

00:49:30 - 00:49:48 | Speaker 2:

Hi, good morning. Good morning. My first babysitting job, I watched my sister. I was like 12. She was two and a half. My mom had a garage sale in the backyard, so she wasn't far. But my sister started choking on a carrot. I had to give her the Heimlich maneuver. Oh, my God. Hold on a second. And she ended up throwing up everywhere.

00:49:48 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:52:11 - 00:52:13 | Speaker 8:

All right, Shannon, what you got in this hour is Dirty on the 30.

00:52:13 - 00:52:42 | Speaker 3:

Well, an arrest has been made in the shocking double murder of a longtime American Idol executive and her husband. Robin Kaye was the show's music supervisor since it began. She and her husband, musician Tom DeLuca, were found fatally shot in their $4.5 million California home. Fleece say this is the crazy part. They walked in on the burglary happening and were killed trying to confront this person, this guy.

00:52:42 - 00:52:57 | Speaker 2:

When the homeowners returned back to their residence, a violent struggle ensued between them and the suspect who was already inside their home, which resulted in the victims tragically losing their life both were shot in the head found in

00:52:57 - 00:53:08 | Speaker 3:

separate rooms robin was found in the pantry tom in one of the bathrooms the suspect a 22 year old named raymond budarian he was found and arrested motive is unknown um we're still looking into

00:53:08 - 00:53:14 | Speaker 2:

whether he has any type of relationship with the victims right now it is an apparent random attack

00:53:14 - 00:53:52 | Speaker 8:

um that's the scary thing you know we're hearing all these home robbery you said that are going on You know, people, you know, get having their houses robbed. If you're going to rob my house, take my stuff. I don't want to walk in on you doing that. Or I don't want to be home at the time because God knows what could happen. I remember my father-in-law had that happen. They were coming home from church, came home to guys carrying his televisions out of the house. And it's a scary situation. It's like, don't, you know, don't be careful. This one seems more with this 22-year-old guy and he's by himself because usually those other robberies are groups of people.

00:53:52 - 00:53:55 | Speaker 3:

This guy hopped the fence, went in through an unlocked door.

00:53:55 - 00:53:59 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, this is a guy that's obviously either on drugs or maybe he's targeting these guys.

00:54:00 - 00:54:13 | Speaker 9:

I remember I was home one time. Somebody came and tried to rob the house. They had to be somebody young, too, because when I came downstairs, I guess they dropped everything and ran out, and all they had was my Xbox and my peacoat. So I'm thinking they was pretty young, too, probably. Your peacoat?

00:54:13 - 00:54:15 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, it's like a... I know what a peacoat is, but that's interesting.

00:54:15 - 00:54:20 | Speaker 9:

They wanted your peacoat. That's what I'm saying. He had to be young. Like, they was popular at the time. Yeah, yeah.

00:54:21 - 00:54:48 | Speaker 3:

The Emmy nominations have been announced. Severance leading the way with a total of 27, followed by 24 noms for the Penguin. Beyonce, Jay-Z, both nominated in the Outstanding Variety Special Live category, marking a potential family feud during the award show. So, she is nominated for her Netflix special, Beyonce Bowl, while Jay-Z is nominated for his work as one of the executive producers on Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime show.

00:54:48 - 00:54:58 | Speaker 8:

If that doesn't win after the hype that that got. The halftime show? Kendrick Lamar, by far, was probably one of the biggest halftime shows that we've seen in the last decade.

00:54:58 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 3:

And those two are up against an SNL special.

00:55:00 - 00:55:06 | Speaker 4:

special and the oscars also in that category yeah they're up against the 200 year or 50 years

00:55:06 - 00:55:14 | Speaker 3:

that's what i'm saying i wonder what what wins because to your point this hype win they're all good that kid was probably the biggest thing of the year i like the emmys better than i do the

00:55:14 - 00:55:19 | Speaker 4:

oscars because i don't watch a lot of movies i watch more television so i kind of like that

00:55:19 - 00:55:28 | Speaker 5:

did you watch severance anybody i didn't watch severance um i want to give a shout out to love on the spectrum one of my favorite shows of all time it got five nominations uh five emmy nominations

00:55:28 - 00:55:41 | Speaker 4:

Did you mention this? If you did, I was writing something down. Harrison Ford got his first ever. No. I saw that. Harrison Ford first ever Emmy nomination. He's been an Oscar winner, but he's on Shrinking. Yep. That's a great show.

00:55:41 - 00:56:03 | Speaker 5:

And he's up against Jason Segel, one of his co-stars on that show. Great show. I saw two. This was kind of funny. It was going around yesterday. Dax Shepard posted a naked photo of his wife, Kristen Bell, doing yoga. Censored. He covered up her booty. But to celebrate her nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in the Netflix series, Nobody Wants This, which is also a great show to check out if you haven't already. I love them.

00:56:03 - 00:56:05 | Speaker 3:

They seem like a good little situation over there.

00:56:05 - 00:56:10 | Speaker 4:

There's a place in Walled Lake that they'll eat at a lot. Straight up? Yeah, it's weird.

00:56:10 - 00:56:11 | Speaker 5:

Are they from here? Are they living here?

00:56:11 - 00:56:13 | Speaker 4:

They're from that. Are they both from here? Yeah.

00:56:13 - 00:56:14 | Speaker 5:

Are they both from here?

00:56:14 - 00:56:25 | Speaker 4:

I think I know he is. I think she might be, too. Yeah. But I know that there's a little breakfast spot that they go to a lot. And I've had a lot of friends that have just run in randomly to Dax Shepard.

00:56:25 - 00:56:26 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, she's from Huntington Woods.

00:56:27 - 00:56:27 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, yeah.

00:56:27 - 00:56:28 | Speaker 3:

I didn't know that.

00:56:29 - 00:56:36 | Speaker 5:

Eminem faces his own super fans in the teaser trailer for his documentary Stands, which is going to drop next month.

00:56:37 - 00:56:41 | Speaker 1:

Why did you write the song Stands? Is Stands based on a real fan?

00:56:42 - 00:56:44 | Speaker 4:

Why do you share so much about yourself and your music?

00:56:45 - 00:56:51 | Speaker 1:

What the hell goes on in your brain? How does it feel to be followed by so many people? How much fan mail do you get? How's your daughter?

00:56:51 - 00:56:52 | Speaker 5:

Have you read my letter?

00:56:53 - 00:56:55 | Speaker 2:

What's it like being famous?

00:56:57 - 00:57:12 | Speaker 5:

It actually looks really good. Here's the thing. It's going to be released exclusively in select AMC theater locations from August 7th to August 10th. So you've got like, you know, just a couple of days to see it and you've got to check out specific AMC.

00:57:12 - 00:57:14 | Speaker 4:

I don't even think we have an AMC here, do we?

00:57:15 - 00:57:32 | Speaker 3:

As one of Livonia, I used to go to a lot before I became an Imagine Dawn. Hopefully. Hopefully, with just three days in theaters, there's, like, alternate release plans. Yeah. It's Eminem. Wake the f*** up! But that's exciting. Mojo in the morning. That is exciting, though. I do want to see the movie. Shout out Eminem.

00:57:32 - 00:57:41 | Speaker 5:

And we are all huge Delta fans on this show, minus Bianca, who favors Spirit. Yo, Spirit. Still can't figure it out. I'm with you, B. Kevin's a Spirit guy, too, though. Oh, you are?

00:57:42 - 00:57:45 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Okay, listen to this story. Frontier Spirit, I don't care what it is.

00:57:45 - 00:58:17 | Speaker 5:

A Delta Airlines worker just gave new meaning to customer service. This story is out of Birmingham, Alabama, but there is a longtime Delta Gate agent. Her name is Jill Hickey. She just donated a kidney to a frequent flyer who she's known for years and years, a 74-year-old guy named Bruce Gamble. She's come to know him because he flies so much for work. He needed a kidney to survive, and after 10 failed matches, this Delta Gate agent that he sees all the time on his trips turned out to be the perfect donor.

00:58:18 - 00:58:20 | Speaker 3:

Wow. Wow. Isn't that a beautiful story? Yeah.

00:59:47 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 4:

give this as an option what I would do because you got a 2020 Yukon XL car might have a few miles on it or what was your husband's car again you said um it's

01:00:00 - 01:00:01 | Speaker 2:

High country diesel truck.

01:00:02 - 01:00:50 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. You got diesel. That's cool. I would offer a trade-in to Mike Porter. I'd say, hey, you know what? I'll take the win on this one. What kind of money will you give me for the GMC? You know what I mean? I don't know. I'm going to negotiate. I'm going to pull the prices right on this one here, Bob. Your name's not Bob, by the way. It's Nicole. I was trying to pretend like it's Bob Barker. I think she knows. I know. i'm gonna i do a little negotiation okay yeah that's a good idea that's a good idea i'll work this thing you know and if you want i'll uh i'll be there with you i'll i'll stand with you and i'll stand firm with mike porter i'll say mike we ain't leaving until this woman gets herself a deal all right nicole we got you we'll figure it out cars cash and gas

01:00:50 - 01:00:59 | Speaker 2:

Also, listen, I'm a long-time caller, first-time answer. Let's go. Okay, Nicole's on the phone. I've never heard anybody say that, actually. That's amazing. It's different.

01:00:59 - 01:01:02 | Speaker 1:

We love you, Nicole. Thank you for listening. We appreciate you.

01:01:03 - 01:01:04 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I love you guys.

01:01:04 - 01:01:13 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the morning. You guys know that I talk about this on the show all the time. I'm probably the smartest financial mind in this room.

01:01:14 - 01:01:17 | Speaker 3:

Really? You made the most. Does that with a big goofy grin on his face.

01:01:17 - 01:01:55 | Speaker 1:

No, I'm not. I really am not. But one thing I know for a fact is there is one thing that you will never see me ever do unless I'm going dead broke and I really need to. And that is I will never sell anything on Facebook Marketplace. And here's the thing. I would rather give it away or donate it to whatever Goodwill Salvation Army than have to have a complete stranger come to my house and pick something up. And with that said, I cannot believe this. I was online yesterday. I was on the Facebook. You guys know that thing called the Facebook? It's a great place.

01:01:55 - 01:01:59 | Speaker 4:

I got 90 friends on Facebook. 12 of them are pending, but I got 90 friends.

01:01:59 - 01:02:20 | Speaker 1:

And I saw celebrity Brad Galley from Channel 7 on Facebook. And on the Facebook, Brad Galley is listed as selling his kitchen table and chairs. and it is an interesting set of, you know, chairs and table. It's a beautiful one.

01:02:20 - 01:02:27 | Speaker 4:

What does that mean? Yeah, what does interesting mean? No, it's beautiful. It's a beautiful one. That means it's ugly. Okay. No, no, it's nice.

01:02:27 - 01:03:04 | Speaker 1:

No, no, it's not. It's a pottery barn one. Oh. It says, here's the description. It says, pottery barn table with leaf in good condition. Pictures show imperfections. seven chairs are gray fabric and needing to be cleaned all right i love brad brad's actually brad brad is actually like i i would say like a little brother to me i talk about him all the time on the show we do we love the guy love him i love his beautiful wife claire and their kids seriously it's like the most precious family ever but this is the dumbest thing i've ever seen

01:03:04 - 01:03:14 | Speaker 3:

Right. They actually sell, I see their name on Facebook Marketplace a lot. All right. They do? They sell a lot of stuff. Maybe it's like it is. All right. I got a problem with this.

01:03:14 - 01:03:22 | Speaker 1:

I got a problem with this, Brad. Can we get Brad on? Will Brad come on with us, you think, on this one?

01:03:22 - 01:03:24 | Speaker 3:

Brad is on. Brad is on. He's on.

01:03:24 - 01:03:29 | Speaker 1:

Look at this. Brad Galley. Brad, are you sure you're Brad Galley and not Bad Galley?

01:03:30 - 01:03:39 | Speaker 3:

What is going on? I just woke up. I see a text from Lydia that says, Mojo wants to talk to you. I assume we're talking about the Major League Baseball All-Star. No, no, no, no.

01:03:39 - 01:04:06 | Speaker 1:

No, Channel 7's very own sports director, Brad Galley. He'd throw you a curveball, Brad. Brad, I'm – yeah, exactly. No, this is a Tarek Skubal 100-mile-an-hour fastball. I'm throwing it right down the middle. I haven't even brushed my teeth. You're swinging and missing on this one. Brad, you and Claire cannot be selling stuff on Facebook Marketplace. You are a famous individual. You don't want people coming to your house and buying stuff?

01:04:07 - 01:04:12 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's probably a really good call. I do it all the time, Brad, and he says the same thing to me.

01:04:12 - 01:04:16 | Speaker 1:

It's dumb. Have you ever seen the Nate Bargetski or whatever the guy's name is comedy special?

01:04:17 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's hilarious. This is one of my favorite clips of Nate. She started selling stuff online on Facebook Marketplace, and I found this out from a guy at my front door. I don't even really know what it is. I think it's just putting your home address on the open internet. She doesn't sell used cars. There's not, there's not like a big money coming in. She sells stuff that should be thrown away. She sold an old kid's folding chair for $5. It's $5. Best case.

01:05:00 - 01:05:13 | Speaker 6:

scenario, we receive five dollars. Worst case, our whole family is murder. Brad.

01:05:13 - 01:05:14 | Speaker 1:

That is so relatable.

01:05:15 - 01:05:21 | Speaker 6:

Come on, Brad. I'll cut you a deal, Mojo. 100 bucks is all yours. I'll even drop it off.

01:05:21 - 01:05:59 | Speaker 3:

Brad, here's what I want to do. This is what I want to do. I will personally buy your Pottery Barn table even with the seven chairs that need cleaning and i would like to put it in the radio station kitchen here at the station and we're going to call the kitchen the brad galley kitchen let's can we do do you think colleen would allow us to have the brad galley kitchen somewhere down for anything so and then what i'll do is i will buy it on one condition that you a never do this ever again and b will Will you and the kids and Claire sign the table for us? Will you autograph the table for us?

01:06:01 - 01:06:08 | Speaker 6:

One of two things. Absolutely, I would do all that. It's also garbage day, so if you encourage me to just put it out on the curb. No, no, no, no. I'm buying it.

01:06:08 - 01:06:18 | Speaker 3:

I'm giving you $200. I seriously am going to put $200 towards the kids' Catholic education. What's up, Kathleen? How are you doing?

01:06:20 - 01:06:21 | Speaker 2:

Hey, great. How are you?

01:06:21 - 01:06:27 | Speaker 3:

Say hi to Brad Galley from Channel 7, WXYZ. He's the sports director and also on Facebook Marketplace.

01:06:28 - 01:06:30 | Speaker 2:

Hello, nice to meet you.

01:06:31 - 01:06:34 | Speaker 6:

Hi, Kathleen. We can talk baseball if you want, or you can talk about our pottery barn table.

01:06:36 - 01:06:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm going to talk about giving away stuff for free, like Mojo.

01:06:40 - 01:06:42 | Speaker 3:

Are you in agreement that that's what Brad should be doing?

01:06:44 - 01:06:45 | Speaker 2:

Yes, I agree.

01:06:45 - 01:06:56 | Speaker 3:

Yes. I don't want to see news story about Brad Galley being, like, robbed in his house and tied up and robbed. You know what I mean? Like, I don't want that.

01:06:57 - 01:07:11 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so I'm in a local Buy Nothing group. And so instead of giving out my address, I drop off items at their house for free. But I was telling Lydia, like, how do I not know there's a serial killer behind the door waiting to kill me? Right?

01:07:11 - 01:07:40 | Speaker 1:

And those Buy Nothing things, those sites are so good, too. What is that, X-Mite? So, Buy Nothing, you can register for your area, and it's basically, you can either put stuff out, you put a picture of it, like Brad could put his kitchen table on the Buy Nothing site for the city that he lives in, and somebody could just go and grab it, or, you know, you can just go and grab some of the things. And everything is free. So, it's like a trading thing. It's like a donation, but they have to come to your house to get it or whatever.

01:07:41 - 01:07:43 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Kyle's got an idea for us. What's your idea, Kyle?

01:07:44 - 01:07:55 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, guys. how are you? Good morning. Good morning. Very good. So, I mean, you missed a major opportunity here, Mojo. If it's a kitchen, then it's a galley. So you could call it the Brad Galley.

01:07:55 - 01:08:10 | Speaker 3:

Galley. By the way, that sounds like something that Victor would say. Like Victor would call in. That is actually really good, Kyle. That is very smart. I love that. Am I weird, Brad,

01:08:10 - 01:08:16 | Speaker 1:

that now I want to text Claire and be like, send me a picture of the new table that you got? What are you making room for?

01:08:17 - 01:08:21 | Speaker 6:

It's very nice, yeah, it's very nice That's why we're excited Hold on

01:08:21 - 01:08:31 | Speaker 3:

Ladies and gentlemen, on the phone with us right now Is Brad Galley from Channel 7 And also his arch nemesis, Bad Galley A.K.A. Misfit Victor Victor, hi

01:08:31 - 01:08:58 | Speaker 5:

Wow, I don't even remember those.

01:09:35 - 01:09:40 | Speaker 1:

I don't even know. Claire sells a lot of stuff. He's deep diving in.

01:09:40 - 01:09:40 | Speaker 3:

That's why I'm here.

01:09:41 - 01:09:51 | Speaker 5:

And the other question is, I want to find this guy, Jerry, who gave you guys a three-star reach. I want to know what's the first one at home. Who gave you guys a three out of five stars?

01:09:51 - 01:09:52 | Speaker 7:

How do you snow with it?

01:09:52 - 01:09:53 | Speaker 6:

He's talking.

01:09:53 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 5:

He said, let's go. Jerry, Jerry, if you're listening, you rat bastard, you have like 24 hours. that's a five star

Cash in hand when I see you, okay?

01:10:58 - 01:11:01 | Speaker 4:

And who knows what went on on that table besides dinner?

01:11:01 - 01:11:12 | Speaker 2:

Wait. He says things. I didn't know about that. By the way, will you guys stop this? Brad works for a family television station. We do not want to be bringing stuff up like that.

01:11:12 - 01:11:14 | Speaker 4:

I was talking about dessert and stuff like that, you sicko.

01:11:14 - 01:11:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:11:15 - 01:11:16 | Speaker 4:

01:11:16 - 01:11:21 | Speaker 2:

Love you guys. Love both Brad and bad. Love you. Talk to you guys. Bye.

01:11:22 - 01:11:32 | Speaker 4:

Add Mojo in the morning to your presets on our free iHeartRadio app. And never miss War of the Roses. The second date update. M-I-D-A-Hole. Or the throwback throwdown.

01:11:32 - 01:11:48 | Speaker 2:

Man. Oh, God. I'm looking at the weather forecast for the next couple of days. So we got possibilities of storms that are coming our way. So there's maybe a pop-up storm. Like, you know, those ones that kind of like just out of nowhere, It's like the real harsh kind of craziness.

01:11:49 - 01:11:51 | Speaker 1:

And it's actually raining here at the radio station right now. Yeah. Really? Yeah.

01:11:51 - 01:12:05 | Speaker 2:

And they're saying that potentially they could be kind of a rougher. Yeah. Tonight. But then we also have this. I don't know if you saw this. The beautiful day that we're going to have on Friday. Did you see that at all?

01:12:05 - 01:12:06 | Unknown:

No.

01:12:06 - 01:12:15 | Speaker 2:

Friday, they're saying it's going to be so gorgeous that the temperature is going to be in the 80s, but it's going to feel like it's the 70s because there's going to be like zero humidity.

01:12:15 - 01:12:16 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah, it says high 79 sunshine.

01:12:16 - 01:12:17 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:12:17 - 01:12:22 | Speaker 1:

So is it getting cooler? Yeah, but then next week, we're back in the 90s again. Yeah, okay.

01:12:23 - 01:12:39 | Speaker 2:

I'm excited about this. We need it. We need to have a really good weather time, so that'll be good. Hey, the iHeartRadio Music Festival is happening. It's going on in, where is it, September, I think? September, what's the weekend? The 20-something, I believe. What's that weekend?

01:12:39 - 01:12:40 | Speaker 4:

The 19th, yeah.

01:12:41 - 01:12:56 | Speaker 2:

And did you know that you could be going? your chance to go to the iHeartRadio Music Festival is seriously going to be happening very, very soon again. We're going to be giving away trips with cash to go to Vegas and hang with myself, Shannon, and Kev.

01:12:56 - 01:12:59 | Speaker 1:

How great is that? I'm so excited that we're back this year.

01:12:59 - 01:13:41 | Speaker 2:

Tony had said that. Did we get a sponsor attached to this thing that's going to do this? Steve Gabara. Steve Gabara from Zod. Yeah. Are you serious? Come on, man. And he's coming with us? Is that true? Best deals in the D. It's so fun. Hey, Steve coming too? Oh, it's over. If I call him Stevie G, he'll get mad at me. So I got to say Steve Gabara, Zot Ford, deals in the D. Love those guys. Love Todd over at Zot Ford. Todd Zot. I was actually talking to his brother Thad yesterday on the phone for a while. And, of course, Zot's got his Zot Chrysler Dodge Jeep and all those other great dealerships. Am I announcing the thing right now?

01:13:41 - 01:13:46 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you just said it. At 9 o'clock. At 9 o'clock, okay. Major clue if you heard what you just said.

01:13:46 - 01:13:53 | Speaker 2:

I'll be announcing a new artist coming to the IR Radio Music Festival. Get ready. That's happening at 9 o'clock this morning.

01:13:53 - 01:14:22 | Speaker 3:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning. Live. Mojo. Let me take y'all back to the beginning. This is it.

01:14:22 - 01:14:23 | Speaker 2:

All right, are you ready?

01:14:24 - 01:14:26 | Speaker 3:

You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

01:14:26 - 01:14:27 | Speaker 2:

You're a doo-doo hat.

01:14:31 - 01:14:32 | Speaker 3:

Let's go.

01:14:32 - 01:16:02 | Speaker 2:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning coming up this hour on the show. uh kev in just a matter of moments with the big family explanation that he wants to talk about or the big family news uh he's going to talk about um then we also have bianca coming in here this morning uh bianca and sending them money me. for the date would you ever in a million years ever know of people that says hey we'll go on a date with you and here i'm going to send you money so that you know that the date is going to get paid for what bianca with that full story coming up here in just a little bit uh and then i want to talk about um i want to talk about the pot cookies i i've been holding off on this for a few weeks but a friend of mine had something crazy happen to him recently and i figured since we were We're doing the Wiz Khalifa contest that we got to bring up the pot cookies on the air. We'll do that, and then we'll do another chance for you to meet Wiz Khalifa with your Mojo in the Morning Cush and Tell stories coming up in the 9 o'clock hour. All right, it is the Mojo in the Morning show. This show talks about a lot of stuff. I mean, we talk about everything, goofy things, but we also get serious from time to time. And something that we want to do also is inform. And I think that that is an opportunity that is honestly never taken lightly by any of us. Kev, this morning, wants to talk a little bit this morning. What's going on?

01:16:02 - 01:17:41 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I guess the topic at hand is mental health and the conversation that needs to be had from it. My family and I have been going through a real tough time. I feel like over the course of a few years, a few years ago, someone in my family was diagnosed with bipolar schizophrenia. And it was a situation that came out of nowhere. Nobody expected it. Nobody saw signs that this was happening. But we saw changes in the person, whether it been them just acting erratic, not acting like the person that we've known and love and have grown to know our entire lives. And it ended up requiring us to have that person hospitalized. And after having them hospitalized and getting them on medication, slowly but surely, you start to see the person that you once knew and loved return to that. and never having experienced anything like this or not having the knowledge or the tool or the know-how, you think, okay, my person is back to being my person. And appointments start to fall off. You don't start to be as consistent as you were once upon a time. And I would say within the last three or four months, we've started to see those same symptoms return. And it's resulted in us having to have that person hospitalized again. and it's just been a real struggle man and it's it's almost like you you want that person to be who they are and it's like you love them no matter what but it's like hard to love like this new version and you can't do anything about it for real because they're an adult so you can't make them do certain things or they don't even believe that what they're experiencing is reality because they have their own reality and it's just been a real tough you know a few months for real is it

01:17:41 - 01:17:46 | Speaker 2:

Is it hard for you to talk about? Because I know you want to keep the anonymity and all that stuff. I have to, yeah.

01:17:46 - 01:18:01 | Speaker 1:

It's hard, but it's also necessary because I haven't been the best version of myself for quite some time because it's almost like I can't flow and have fun and talk about other stuff when the most pressing thing you can't talk about. So it's like I need to get this out in a way.

01:18:01 - 01:18:24 | Speaker 2:

And I want listeners to know this. We've known that Kev's been struggling with this, And some people have said that they've listened to the show and they can hear cab be wild and go wild and stuff. I think some of his go wild things that have happened in you kind of getting and also kind of being quiet at times has been because of the stuff that you're dealing with family wise.

01:18:24 - 01:18:37 | Speaker 1:

So you got a lot in your brain, bro. And it's hard to, and that's the thing. Like people say, like leave and I'm trying to do a better job of like leaving stuff at the door and walking into the studio and being, you know, who I am in here.

01:18:37 - 01:19:04 | Speaker 3:

But we're dealing with it in our family, too. Somebody is struggling really, really badly with their mental health. And the you feel helpless because you're looking at the person and physically they look the same to you. It's that person. But you're like, where where are you in there? And that that feeling of helplessness, which I'm sure you're experiencing, is one of is one of the toughest parts. Like, what what can I do to help the situation?

01:19:04 - 01:19:17 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah. Can I ask some questions just real quick? Because of, this is difficult when you see somebody that you love going through this. You said that the person's going through what right now? What is the actual?

01:19:17 - 01:19:25 | Speaker 1:

Well, they've been diagnosed with bipolar schizophrenia. Okay. So different personalities. Yeah. And one way, one way. Lots of highs, lots of lows. Yeah.

01:19:25 - 01:19:34 | Speaker 2:

And is there a time when they actually are able to deal with, do they have to be medicated and stuff to do this?

01:19:34 - 01:19:35 | Speaker 1:

That's what's been recommended.

01:19:36 - 01:20:06 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Yeah, and it's tough because nobody wants to sit there and, you know, you take, it's funny, we take medication when we have cancer or we deal with whatever the diagnosis is and deal with that if we have cancer or I have, I take medicine for my heart because I have heart disease. But when you have something that is in your brain that you're kind of dealing with and you're ashamed to take that or you for some reason don't want to do it and then it brings that illness back out. And also when it's not you and you want to make sure that that person is taking all of their medication or going to their appointments, to your point earlier.

01:20:07 - 01:20:45 | Speaker 1:

It's so tough when they don't believe that they're experiencing it. Like in their mind, I am who I am. All of you are tripping. Y'all are crazy. I'm not the one. and it's it's even harder when you have to be there for every other family member that's also experiencing it because maybe you're the backbone of the family or you're the sounding board so like not only are you able or not only do you have to figure out how to navigate your own emotions and your own personal relationship with the person but everyone else that's affected you have to also be there to handle their emotions yeah that's a lot on your plate kev yeah it's

01:20:45 - 01:20:52 | Speaker 3:

I get emotional looking at your eyes because I can tell that it's tough for you. Yeah, it's way in for sure. Yeah. Lisa, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

01:20:54 - 01:21:50 | Speaker 4:

Hey, I just wanted to talk to Kevin. I have, for the past 25 years, been working with people with brain diseases, dementia, schizophrenia. I have a client right now that I work with. um you kind of have to put your basically what it is that I've learned is whatever is happening in their brain whatever they're seeing and hearing and feeling at that moment you have to go with it because it's truly happening and for you to tell them what are you talking about will only make them angry and more embarrassed so you have to be so patient and be their best friend talk to them Because I'm telling you, with everything going on in their brain, they're going to recognize you and see you as a friend. And it makes it so much easier for them to talk to you because every now and then you're going to hear stuff that you're like, what the heck is going on? But then the real them comes back to.

01:21:52 - 01:22:04 | Speaker 1:

Okay. So it's like you're building relationship equity or trust with that person, engaging in wherever they are at that moment. and then when they come back to being the person that you know you can i guess move forward in a

01:22:04 - 01:23:00 | Speaker 4:

better way because you have that trust now right like my one client i work with um he'll tell me all the time like we'll be driving and he's dodging moon rocks and he's laughing because somebody's saying something in his head and we talk about what's going on at that moment and i have to dodge rocks with him or tell those guys hey that's not right don't say that and he'll end up laughing and then all of a sudden he'll say you know at least you're my best friend ever you're the only one that really cares about me i love you and then it will go back to whatever is going on in his brain so whatever is going on at that time it's it's almost like role-playing like just go with it that's all i can tell you and not not every person with schizophrenia is going to hurt themselves hurt you or is dangerous just keep that in mind too but when they're on their medication and they get used to taking it just like you go back to the gym you start taking a new vitamin

01:23:00 - 01:23:49 | Speaker 3:

it will get easier because it becomes routine all right thank you i think that the problem is that we have such a stigma to mental health and i feel like it is better than it used to be because it used to be you get so hush hush nobody wanted to talk about it yeah so now at least people will talk about it but i i um it's sad because many families deal with it we deal with mental health issues in our family in a big way and i'll tell you that uh um it's heartbreaking i mean it's heartbreaking to see a family member go through any kind of an illness mental health illness and alzheimer's and dementia have been the two of the hardest even harder than seeing family die of cancer or or heart disease you know because there's it seems like there's no help out there

01:23:49 - 01:24:37 | Speaker 2:

for it what's up nick how you doing i'm good how are you good what's going on no so yeah you know the the last caller she really touched on a lot of things kind of but uh and i'm not talking about any specific situation with anyone involved in the show but uh i think that especially situation with new mothers or women who deal with postpartum depression sure is something that really gets uh kind of overlooked because and i specifically saw with my twin sister who was out of state being a single mom having her first child and uh you know she would tell me i'm i look at my kid and i feel bad because i almost don't care you know yeah and it's it sucks because i'm miles away and i want to help but i know there's nothing really i can do immediately so i can come for a

01:24:37 - 01:24:45 | Speaker 3:

week and try and help but Nick Nick we've talked about postpartum on our show before how is she

01:24:45 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 2:

doing now she's doing a lot better and she recognizes now that you know how I felt wasn't normal but the whole point yeah I guess of bringing this up is at the time what you feel is just like Kevin said your reality

01:24:59 - 01:25:29 | Unknown:

Thank you.

01:25:00 - 01:25:47 | Speaker 2:

And, you know, I'm not upset because I'm upset about this. I'm upset about that. And if you're discounting it and you're telling me that that's not real or to calm down or it's going to go away, you're discounting how I'm feeling right now. So it's difficult to deal with the situation when you're on the other side and you're like, well, why are you upset or do you have to be happy about it? When realistically, I understand now and I haven't had any children yet, but, you know, kudos to anyone who's dealt with the situation. When you have a child and you're breastfeeding and you screw this child in your body, they're drawing all these hormones and all these vitamins out of your body, depriving the mother of it, especially if you're breastfeeding. It's just really difficult to deal with that and try to be encouraging, but that's all you really can do is just kind of acknowledge it and be encouraging, and then hopefully they can get through that.

01:25:47 - 01:26:13 | Speaker 3:

I love that you're talking about your situation in your family because it probably helps you be able to do it. It's funny. I was thinking about this with you being miles and miles away from your sister and, you know, dealing with it and then others having them in their own town dealing with it. Like, what is harder to be away from it or be right there in the thick of it? Because I think both would be extremely difficult.

01:26:13 - 01:26:18 | Speaker 4:

It's hard to see the person in essence, in many ways, in your eyes, deteriorating.

01:26:18 - 01:26:34 | Speaker 3:

That's awful. So I appreciate you bringing this up, but I want to grab a couple last calls, and then if anybody does need help and in dire need help, we're going to give you some resources that you can be able to help with in a second here. Is it Hannah? Is that right?

01:26:35 - 01:26:36 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, it is.

01:26:36 - 01:26:37 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Hannah?

01:26:38 - 01:27:36 | Speaker 1:

So I've been diagnosed. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder about four years ago, and I have been on different medications and different types of therapy and different treatment programs and after four years i am finally medication free by recommendation of my psychiatrist um it was definitely a long journey to get here and the biggest advice that i got and that i give to anyone who's going through this is take it moment by moment one day at a time because you can't look at the entire goal and think you're going to get it done and one day like you have to break it down moment by moment and be there so you don't overwhelm yourself with the stress and the anxiety and just everything it's a lot life's already a lot and when you have a mental health issue it just adds to it but there is definitely hope I never thought I would be able to get off medication and now that I am I feel like myself that I once was

01:27:36 - 01:27:57 | Speaker 3:

and it's amazing. And Hannah, you, you, you say that you're, um, the, what you're dealing with is it, did you say bipolar? Yeah. So quick question, uh, for you when you're going through a bipolar episode, what is, what do people say it looks like? Um, well, there's like two types

01:27:57 - 01:28:30 | Speaker 1:

for me. I'm either manic, so I don't sleep and I'm talking super fast and I'm always go, go, go go go or it's the longer depressive episodes where I'm just there's no light or life in my eyes and I am just dragging through my day every single day but like having little rewards for myself and having a support system really a support system is the biggest thing that I rely on on a day-to-day basis to have gotten me through all of this that's my question like what role

01:28:30 - 01:28:45 | Speaker 4:

did your family play throughout the process and was there ever a time that you didn't want to take medication and if you did go through that how did you become consistent um yeah so my family

01:28:45 - 01:29:12 | Speaker 1:

they've definitely they have been there when if I can't drive myself to an appointment they will offer to drive me if there are days where I just want a shoulder to cry on they'll be there they'll listen to me and I'll try and explain what is happening in my mind but then they always remind And being like, I know you're feeling this way, but if you want to get better, you have to fight for what you want your life to look like. And so changing my thought patterns was a very big thing to try and get me better.

01:29:14 - 01:29:26 | Speaker 4:

What was your other question? Sorry. Well, how did you change your thought pattern? Like, was there a time where you said, I'm not experiencing what you guys are telling me I'm experiencing? I feel fine. Denial. Yeah. Did you ever go through that?

01:29:26 - 01:30:00 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. Yeah, for sure. More in like the manic episodes, I was like, oh, I'm fine. I don't need to take my medication. And then I would be financially irresponsible and I would be reckless. And eventually, like, it was really my partner. He'd sit me down and be like, do you see yourself? And I'm like, what are you talking about? He's like, exactly. Like, you need to go get help. You can't even see what's going on. And everyone else can. Like, we're worried about you. We're scared for you. And when you hear the fear in their voice and in their eyes about you and yourself,

01:30:00 - 01:30:53 | Speaker 2:

safety, you're like, Oh, wow. Okay. Maybe I'm not as good as I think I feel. And I'm sure that it starts with anger because people get angry at first and then fear. And then, then hopefully help. Um, if you or anyone, you know, is experiencing any, uh, form of, um, mental health crisis or, uh, God forbid suicide, uh, the number that can help is nine, 888. And I would appreciate if, you know, you just understand that you are, you're loved, you're valuable. We don't know you, I don't know you, or maybe we do, but we do care about you. And one of the reasons we bring this up on the air is because we're all dealing with the same thing that you're dealing with. And don't ever think that people aren't. When you think that you're alone, you're not. The person next to you could be dealing with something that is virtually

01:30:53 - 01:31:10 | Speaker 1:

the same and also if you i don't know what it is for ohio but i know that the state of michigan if you go on michigan.gov and click on the michigan department of health and human services they have listings by county of all of the different organizations where you can find free mental

01:31:10 - 01:31:16 | Speaker 2:

health help yeah uh it's mojo in the morning thank you cap for bringing that up buddy yeah

01:31:16 - 01:31:22 | Speaker 1:

you've got a yeah yeah i can't wait for you to come over and meet my parents i mean i had such

01:31:22 - 01:31:33 | Speaker 3:

a great time. Met a total loser on Bumble. And he's still not calling you back. Second date update happens at 820 on Mojo in the morning. To lighten the mood just a little bit, although this

01:31:33 - 01:32:26 | Speaker 2:

was really not a lighting the mood type of a situation. It got a little bit crazy. Did I tell you guys a story about my friend? I won't say his name, but I tell you the story about my friend who had somebody very, very nice make him some cookies. And the cookies were delicious. The problem was the fact that when he got the big bag of cookies from the friends that said, hey, I just wanted to give you these cookies as kind of a way to make you feel better because he was kind of dealing with a little bit of stuff as a pick-me-up. He brought them home to share with his entire family, not asking his friends if the cookies contained any kind of, I was going to say illegal. It is legal now. Legal narcotic, but a narcotic inside. My buddy got pot cookies.

01:32:26 - 01:32:28 | Speaker 1:

Shut the front door.

01:32:28 - 01:32:38 | Speaker 2:

Not realizing they were pot cookies and then gave them to his family or put them on the counter at his house, to which his wife and his kids all tried.

01:32:38 - 01:32:39 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh.

01:32:40 - 01:33:06 | Speaker 2:

And then they started feeling something because he didn't try any of the cookies yet. And they started feeling something and then called him up and said, oh, my God, there's something in these cookies. Has that ever happened to anybody? Because it happened to him. Well, and then worse is when it happens and it's your child that tries it, right? That's the craziest part. Yeah. And one of your kids tries it because I'm not going to say that these people are out of the ordinary. If you or I brought cookies home.

01:33:06 - 01:33:07 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my kids would go to town.

01:33:07 - 01:33:14 | Speaker 2:

I mean, seriously, I'd have five cookies in there. And that's one of those ones where you don't want five cookies if you've ever had pot cookies before.

01:33:14 - 01:33:14 | Speaker 1:

Were the kids okay?

01:33:15 - 01:33:44 | Speaker 2:

Well, eventually they are. Eventually. And that's the reason why I bring it up. I wouldn't bring it up if it was so bad. And obviously I'm keeping it anonymous because they don't want to tell the person's business without them being okay with it. But, yeah. And this is wild. And I don't know if you guys have ever experienced somebody get high and not realizing it. We did it with our dog. We didn't, remember that story where Henry got a hold of Jed's weed pen?

01:33:44 - 01:33:46 | Speaker 1:

Oh my God, yes.

01:33:46 - 01:34:13 | Speaker 2:

That was the funniest videos on Instagram. My favorite, my favorite moment of that entire, we had to take him to the, Henry's our dog, by the way, not our child. We had to take him to the emergency vet, which is like $8 billion to go in there just for one visit. And the best was when the doctors called out to the waiting room and said, are Henry's parents here? And Chelsea and I pop right up. And the person says from, they don't have HIPAA, I guess, with dogs. They say, do you guys have pot at home? No.

01:34:16 - 01:34:47 | Speaker 1:

This happened with my dad. Yeah, my sister gave my dad, this was a few years ago, gave my dad like a Ziploc baggie full of pretzel nuggets and either didn't tell him that they were pot pretzels or he just didn't hear her when she told him. He ate the bag and then went outside and mowed his lawn and then figured out what had happened. And he said, he was sending us pictures of the lawn was like zigzag. He's like, I knew something was wrong.

01:34:47 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 2:

I'm leery of all snacks in Ziploc bags. Like if it's in a baggie that we got to talk about, especially if it's the baggie. But it's from your kids. If it's the baggie you roll up in, that's a whole different situation. How many times have we had people bring food in to us here? I'm telling you.

01:35:00 - 01:35:07 | Speaker 4:

I'm telling you, we're going to get drugged one day. You got to tell people if you put drugs and stuff, though. You can't just put drug cookies on the table. Right? I'm on drugs!

01:35:07 - 01:35:17 | Speaker 2:

Well, think of all the candy that cute little shop dropped off the other day. That is a fact. We gave them a shout-out, and I thought, could you imagine if this was all edibles? And we were shoving our faces with it.

01:35:17 - 01:35:19 | Speaker 4:

If you see me rubbing the wall, I just know something happened.

01:35:20 - 01:35:26 | Speaker 5:

By the way, I want to see Tim Murphy stoned. I'm not joking. Ask him about it. I want to see that.

01:35:26 - 01:35:27 | Speaker 6:

He still talks about it.

01:35:27 - 01:35:29 | Speaker 5:

Danielle, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning.

01:35:30 - 01:36:02 | Speaker 6:

Hi, Mojo. I was cleaning my daughter's room, and she was her first year in college, and I was just picking up some dirty clothes, and she had a bag of gummy lifesavers in there. So I popped a few in my mouth. I was going about, I popped a few more in my mouth and did not realize that they were cannabis gummies until about a half hour later when I was talking to my mother-in-law on the phone. And then all of a sudden I became incoherent when I was talking to her to hang up.

01:36:02 - 01:36:02 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no.

01:36:03 - 01:36:08 | Speaker 6:

And ran downstairs to my husband and said, oh my God, I think these are pot gummies.

01:36:08 - 01:36:13 | Speaker 5:

where you'd struck you were struggling a little bit weren't you

01:36:13 - 01:36:20 | Speaker 6:

oh i was hugely on the struggle bus and had i um not experienced it before i would have

01:36:20 - 01:36:29 | Speaker 5:

probably taken myself you to the hospital oh my god by the way your mother-in-law must have loved

01:36:29 - 01:36:52 | Speaker 6:

that conversation well thank god my mother-in-law is very hard of hearing so i was able to like it the conversation fast that's great this was about 6 30 in the afternoon and when i told my husband his first response was why would you take candy from your kid's room tell me if i'm right if there's candy as a parent you just eat it sometimes yeah if it's there you just grab it

01:36:52 - 01:37:04 | Speaker 7:

candy from a baby what's up lindsey hey first time long time i love it my real name but i have to be anonymous.

01:37:05 - 01:37:06 | Speaker 5:

What's going on?

01:37:07 - 01:37:12 | Speaker 7:

I was drugged with fudge weed brownies on Christmas Day. Oh, Christmas.

01:37:13 - 01:37:15 | Speaker 5:

Who made the fudge weed brownies?

01:37:16 - 01:37:25 | Speaker 7:

She picked them up at a store, didn't tell us there was weed in it, and we were playing Monopoly, and she brought it out and asked if we wanted fudge, and I said, of course, it's Christmas.

01:37:25 - 01:37:33 | Speaker 5:

By the way, speaking of fudge, you know what would be the greatest thing ever? To be on Mackinac Island, stoned with all that fudge that's on that island.

01:37:33 - 01:37:50 | Speaker 4:

oh my god that would be amazing that would be the greatest christmas prank how parents love to like play well not play but you know if that person jimmy kimmel pranks and the kids help bake cookies for santa you just put a little something in there yeah see how kids react that would give

01:37:50 - 01:38:12 | Speaker 1:

me a little extra ho ho ho what's up d hey so i had some i had ate a whole um we we chocolate I ate a whole candy bar, and I ended up crossing the train track where you're not supposed to cross. Oh, God, sweet. And my car got stuck. Dog. The best. No. No.

01:38:12 - 01:38:15 | Speaker 4:

Are you joking? Did you get the car on before a train?

01:38:15 - 01:38:24 | Speaker 1:

I'm serious. No, it was an abandoned track, so there was no train. But, yeah, I ended up having to call a tow truck, and he pulled me out.

01:38:24 - 01:38:27 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Wow. You know why? Did he know you were high as a kite?

01:38:27 - 01:38:34 | Speaker 1:

i don't know he thought he thought i was crazy but i don't you should be calling us up in about

01:38:34 - 01:38:38 | Speaker 5:

an hour from now when we do our whiz caliva contest that might actually win you a prize

01:38:38 - 01:38:53 | Speaker 8:

uh courtney what's going on hey a few years ago my brother made weed cake pops and brought them to the family thanksgiving he didn't tell anybody except for one cousin and then i had to make sure

01:38:53 - 01:39:01 | Speaker 4:

we brought extra for all the kids oh god did he sit back and just watch or did he indulge as well

01:39:01 - 01:39:06 | Speaker 8:

oh he was laughing the whole time and that's how somebody knew that something was up

01:39:06 - 01:39:29 | Speaker 5:

you know what's funny though you gotta tell somebody you you're gonna especially with kids and things like that you never know if if they're that's why we have the buffer person like we when we have like people come over to our house they'll always say this is the adult table This is the kid table. And I'm like, we're not doing adult kid stuff because the problem is the kids will always eat off the adult table. They're going to go right to it.

01:39:30 - 01:39:31 | Speaker 7:

And I'm going to eat off the kid's table.

01:39:31 - 01:39:33 | Speaker 5:

Exactly. Freddie, what's going on?

01:39:35 - 01:39:39 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. Long, long time, first time caller. What's up, Freddie?

01:39:40 - 01:39:43 | Speaker 5:

Where are you from, Freddie?

01:39:44 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 3:

I am in Shelby Township. Nice to talk to you, buddy. What's going on? So, one year, my cousin brought over laced Krispy Kreme. Not Krispy Kreme. Rice Krispy Trees. Rice Krispy Trees, yes. Yeah.

01:40:00 - 01:40:23 | Speaker 2:

I had some saved and my mom just had surgery on her shoulder and she was going through some stuff, emotional stuff. And I was like, man, my mom needs to relax. If I can only sneak some for her. So she took a big bite and I'm like, perfect. Well, it started kicking in. Do you guys know the Facebook portal that's in like the kitchen where you can talk to people from like Facebook Messenger and it follows you around? No.

01:40:24 - 01:40:27 | Speaker 4:

Wait, what? What is it, like an Alexa or something? It's a portal?

01:40:28 - 01:40:38 | Speaker 2:

It's a huge, like, 12-inch screen that you can plug into your kitchen or anywhere. Okay. And you can connect your Facebook and YouTube and everything. I have never heard of that before.

01:40:38 - 01:40:39 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

01:40:39 - 01:41:29 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's called Facebook Portal. She got it as a birthday gift. Okay. And it follows you around when you're in the kitchen. So if you're talking to family members on, like, Facebook Messenger video, it follows you around or it follows your voice so that you can hands-free do stuff while you're talking. Okay, cool. My mom was talking to then my fiancé, and it kicked in, and my mom just zoned out staring at her, and she screamed. She thought my fiancé jumped out of the portal. She started running around the house thinking that my fiancé was here from overseas. Oh, that's great. And then I had to calm her down, give her water, and I threw her in the guest bedroom. And she passed out, woke up like a zombie, seen me for food. Oh, my goodness.

01:41:30 - 01:41:43 | Speaker 4:

Have you ever, by the way, been that high that you started talking to your TV like it was a human? Oh, it's the best. That is a great story, Freddie. I love that story. Hold on. Anna, are you there, Anna? Yeah, I'm here. Hi, Anna. What's going on?

01:41:45 - 01:42:18 | Speaker 1:

Hey, my husband went golfing and used my lunchbox. And when I went to work at a school, I ate my lunch and whatever. It was all great. On the way home, I was like, oh, I'm still hungry. So I thought there was a Ghirardelli chocolate inside of the bag. And so I ate it. Subsequently, in my hour right home, I called him and said that someone had roofied me. And he, yeah, it was, I would never have consumed that. But, yeah, he thought it was hysterical.

01:42:18 - 01:42:23 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. And, again, this was a chocolate that was – how did you get that chocolate?

01:42:24 - 01:42:38 | Speaker 1:

He went to play golf, and he put it in his bag. Oh, jeez. I didn't know it was still in there, and I didn't know it was even in there. So I was reaching around and went, oh, yeah, Cirodeli chocolate. Who's not going to eat that? I don't know right home.

01:42:38 - 01:42:58 | Speaker 4:

Somebody needs to explain to me because I love golfing with friends. I have friends that golf high. How do you golf high? I can't even golf completely sober. And these guys will golf with, like, tons of weed in their system, or they use those, you know, nicotine things like the Zins and stuff like that.

01:42:58 - 01:43:14 | Speaker 3:

It probably makes you focus. It makes you lock in a little bit. Like, there are basketball players. Kevin Durant, one of the greatest players in the world right now. He plays high? He actively talks about, well, there's not a marijuana clause in the NBA anymore. A lot of these guys, like, it allows you to focus. Wow. I would be like. The opposite.

01:43:15 - 01:43:28 | Speaker 4:

In the stands, eating guys' popcorn. It would be crazy. We all know what you look like when you're eating popcorn. Kevin Durant. Why is Kevin Durant in Section 136, Row A? All right.

01:43:29 - 01:43:32 | Speaker 2:

It's the second date update. I'm Mojo in the morning.

01:43:32 - 01:43:45 | Speaker 4:

All right, second date update. Why are you not getting a call back after you went on a date? Owen went on a date. Owen, what did you do for the date? Where did you guys go? We met at a bar. Okay. So, took her out to a bar. You guys had a good time?

01:43:47 - 01:43:51 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, we got some drinks, and then we went to my work afterwards, actually.

01:43:51 - 01:43:53 | Speaker 4:

What do you do? What kind of work do you do?

01:43:54 - 01:43:55 | Speaker 3:

I'm a DJ at a club.

01:43:56 - 01:44:20 | Speaker 4:

Oh, okay. You got one of these? Yeah. I got one, too. I'm a DJ. DJ Four Fingers here with Owen on the phone. So, okay, so you took her out to a bar, then went to the club. By the way, that is a smooth move. Do you think, like, DJ Boji does that all the time? Like, do you think Boji, like, brings girls to the DJ booth and kind of hangs out?

01:44:20 - 01:44:27 | Speaker 2:

Maybe, because I feel like it's a flex. Yeah, it's a flex. You probably get free drinks at the clubs that you work at. And you feel kind of special, maybe.

01:44:27 - 01:44:37 | Speaker 4:

Like, guys like Calvin Harris and those guys, when they're DJing, do you think that they, like, did Calvin have Taylor in the booth with him when he was doing his DJing and stuff? I'm sure she was in there.

01:44:37 - 01:44:39 | Speaker 3:

You don't think so? Maybe.

01:44:39 - 01:44:47 | Speaker 4:

That's a good move, Owen. I like that move. Let's see what is up for Kaylee. Why are you not calling back, Kaylee? Kaylee, say hi to Owen.

01:44:49 - 01:44:55 | Speaker 1:

Hi. Hey. How's it going?

01:44:56 - 01:44:57 | Speaker 3:

I'm good.

01:44:58 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 4:

Kaylee, what's the story?

01:45:00 - 01:45:07 | Speaker 3:

So why are you not calling Owen back? Seems like a nice guy. Did you not have fun on the date?

01:45:08 - 01:45:15 | Speaker 7:

No, I had fun on the date. It was just kind of the second half of the date I wasn't super jazzed about.

01:45:15 - 01:45:17 | Speaker 3:

What was the second half of the date? The club part?

01:45:19 - 01:45:29 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I don't know. I just, he just wasn't super upfront about what we were doing. And so I, I don't know, just not really interested in that anymore.

01:45:30 - 01:46:05 | Speaker 3:

let's talk about this real quick i want to so you guys go out and then he says hey i got to go to work or was that part of the plan owen that you were going to bring her there i mean i kind of surprised her so your surprise was hey i'm going to go dj i'm going to do how long is a work a set or a job for you about four hours so you wait a second you're bringing her out to a bar and then you're gonna take her to a four-hour work event yeah but like i got her

01:46:05 - 01:46:11 | Speaker 2:

vip i got her drinks like she should have been having a good time i thought where were you at

01:46:11 - 01:46:51 | Speaker 7:

during this kaylee where were you sitting or where are you hanging so he did not tell me that he was going to go work um he basically was like we're just going to go to this club afterwards and i'm not really like a club person but you know yeah i was thinking like okay yeah i'll be fine like we've he's got us a private booth like whatever um and then when i showed up i found out that he was the dj and i was going to be sitting there alone so i had no friends i was just sitting there and a couple of times during the set like he came up and was like how's it going and you know he was my ride what was i supposed to say i would have gotten an uber he was my ride

01:46:51 - 01:47:06 | Speaker 1:

I would have gotten an Uber home. I would have stayed for maybe, you know, I don't know, a little bit of time and then gone home. Four hours? Yeah, you didn't even get paid. And you didn't even know? But she got drinks. And had nobody there to have fun with? She had drinks. You're by yourself.

01:47:06 - 01:47:07 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but you didn't.

01:47:07 - 01:47:12 | Speaker 1:

With somebody that you just met and you didn't know that that's how your night was going to end? No way. I get the drinks thing.

01:47:12 - 01:47:20 | Speaker 4:

I get the VIP thing. But on that last point that Shannon was making, I didn't sign up for this. And who's to say I wanted to be in the club for four hours?

01:47:20 - 01:47:21 | Speaker 1:

With nobody that you know.

01:47:21 - 01:47:47 | Speaker 3:

Can I tell you, though, that if I and this is, you know, from somebody that I would bring girls back to the radio station when I would do air shifts and I would have them hang out with me. I always felt like there was something about them watching me do my show that made them more attracted to me. And I don't know if that's an Owen thing, like watching him do his DJing. Owen, does that usually help when you're?

01:47:48 - 01:47:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I thought it would be fun. And, you know, like, I paid for all the drinks. You know, she got VIP. People pay money for that. I mean, I don't know what the big deal is.

01:47:57 - 01:48:19 | Speaker 3:

That's bottle service, right? That's what you got? The sparklers. Yeah. I don't think that you should probably not say what your plan is, though. I think you should say to her, do you want to come back with me, and I'm going to DJ. Yeah. Or maybe give her a chance to, like, bring a friend or two with, and then at least Kaylee could have some fun.

01:48:20 - 01:48:30 | Speaker 7:

yeah not a good call yeah like if i had my friend with me you know i feel like it would have been much nicer but i also didn't really want to be there for four hours too

01:48:30 - 01:48:41 | Speaker 1:

yeah that's the part right there even if i had a even if i had a friend with me i still did not anticipate that being a part of a date first date at least give her the option chelsea wants to

01:48:41 - 01:48:58 | Speaker 6:

comment what's up chelsea hey guys it definitely feels like a compatibility issue like if he's a dj and you're not a club person like he's going to constantly have these events and it sounds like he wants to bring you along and it just doesn't seem like the right fit yeah either way though

01:48:58 - 01:49:12 | Speaker 3:

he should have gave you a heads up yeah that's not a good uh that's not a good call i don't know i think that would be a bad one hold on funeral home tom is on the phone with us right now tom have you ever brought the ladies back to the morgue do you ever bring them back to the

01:49:12 - 01:49:29 | Speaker 5:

No, although women are very interested in the mortuary science field, believe it or not. Really? But I have a team. Yes. They like to. More interested in a lot of people. More women are becoming, more women are becoming, um, Lacey's funeral directors.

01:49:29 - 01:49:39 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Shannon, let me ask you this. What would you rather date? Uh, Owen the DJ? DJ Owen? Or Tom the funeral home director? Which one would be your?

01:49:39 - 01:49:49 | Speaker 1:

Honestly, the funeral home director, because I wouldn't have to worry about him. I know where he is and who he's with all the time, and there's very little interaction with anybody I need to worry about. You never know.

01:49:50 - 01:49:51 | Speaker 3:

Tom, what were you calling to say?

01:49:53 - 01:50:00 | Speaker 5:

So what kind of club did he take her to? Was it just a regular bar? Was it a strip club? Wait, Kaylee, was it a strip club?

01:50:00 - 01:50:01 | Speaker 4:

A strip club or a club club?

01:50:02 - 01:50:09 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no, no, no. It wasn't a strip club. I would have high-tailed it. I wouldn't even have played nice if it was a strip club.

01:50:09 - 01:50:09 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:50:09 - 01:50:11 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Madison, what's going on?

01:50:11 - 01:50:38 | Speaker 2:

No, it's like regular dance clubs. Hi, Madison. Hi, I just wanted to tell Owen, or I guess to Owen, that it kind of rubbed me the wrong way when you said, I got her all the drinks, I paid for everything. That's to be entitled. Like, you can't just pay your way into dating someone and then leave them there and expect them to still be into you. I just think it's really weird that you just left her in a club and, you know, said hi. But that was it.

01:50:38 - 01:50:54 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. No, it's probably not a good idea, Owen. Shannon's shaking her head. I don't think you're going to get a date from Kaylee nor Shannon on this one here. I think it would have been better if he just at least said, hey, bring some friends out and hang out with us. And he got a VIP and stuff.

01:50:54 - 01:50:56 | Speaker 5:

It probably would have worked better for you.

01:50:56 - 01:50:57 | Speaker 4:

Second date update.

01:50:57 - 01:51:04 | Speaker 3:

This is the home of the dirty on the 30. Throwback, throwdown. Second date update in War of the Roses. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:51:05 - 01:51:12 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to tell you, if it wasn't for DJing, I don't think that I'd be a married guy right now, probably. I don't know. This is the only thing I got.

01:51:13 - 01:51:14 | Speaker 5:

Chelsea came on a studio visit?

01:51:14 - 01:51:41 | Speaker 4:

No, but I met her when I was out. I went to a grad party, and I was the DJ hired to go out to the grad party. But I will say this. The thing that got me with Chelsea, what I got with her is I said, hey, I'm Mojo. And she goes, who cares? That was like her reverse word. I was like, I'm marrying this woman. We got a chance for you to win a brand new car. 844 Mojo Live. 95th caller. Qualified to win. Summer of cars, cash, and gas.

01:51:42 - 01:51:44 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the mornings. Dirty on the 30.

01:51:44 - 01:52:36 | Speaker 1:

Let's get a dirty in here. What's going on, Shannon? Well, Sean Diddy Combs convicted earlier this month on two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution. I have a little update on him. He has apparently enrolled himself in several in-prison self-improvement programs, a domestic violence therapy program, and then a drug rehab course at MDC Brooklyn, where he's probably going to be cozy for the next while until his October sentencing date at least. But legal experts telling me this morning, this is a really strategic move. showing remorse showing that he's making effort efforts excuse me toward changing and maybe that could influence the judge to impose a lighter sentence within that 15 month to five year guideline range rather than the max of 20 years so we shall see but not until i still can't believe

01:52:36 - 01:52:49 | Speaker 4:

how long until his sentencing like i think that's just crazy that pretty normal though but if they're But if they're going to, you know, let the guy have house arrest, he's now back in prison for that long of a time. It makes you almost think that he's not getting house arrest.

01:52:50 - 01:53:00 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Probably not. I don't know why he's waiting. If he would get house arrest, his lawyers should have probably already been on that. Typically, that would have happened right after this. He would be on house arrest between this time and actual sentencing.

01:53:00 - 01:53:23 | Speaker 1:

I want to say that they tried to do that anyway, like before his trial and they were shot down. Congratulations are in order for our Detroit Lions quarterback, Jared Goff, and his beautiful wife, Kristen. And they are now the proud parents of a little girl that they named Romy Isabel. Check out their Instagram for some beautiful photos of their new daughter. Can we talk Lions real quick while you're doing this?

01:53:23 - 01:54:03 | Speaker 4:

Before you move to the next one. There was a story that I read this week that the Lions tickets are going to be the most expensive in the NFL. The resale versions of these tickets on resale sites. It will be the most expensive and they will have the most expensive games. Now, in all fairness, it's not just the games here in Ford Field, but they're saying the games on the road, too. They say that the Lions-Eagles game might be the most expensive ticket of any game this year. But as far as NFL ticket prices, 2024 season costs, the average cost from last season, the Lions also had the highest price tickets, too. Big that.

01:54:04 - 01:54:06 | Speaker 5:

Especially if you factor in the road with how we travel.

01:54:07 - 01:54:46 | Speaker 4:

It's interesting. See how many people were on that road in Lions. Lots of blue. Honolulu blue. Yeah, lots of blue. By the way, I was excited to get this. I got a text message. My buddy Dom Rayola and his family moved back to town. Oh, they did? Yeah. They're going to hang in Michigan. They're going to do Michigan part of the year, and then I think they're going to do Nebraska because Dylan Rayola, who a lot of people, and I coach Dylan in grade school basketball. The kid is by far the best athlete that I've ever been around. But Dylan's the quarterback for Nebraska. the Cornhuskers, and he, a lot of people say, is like Patrick Mahomes. And he looks like Patrick, but they say he plays like Patrick Mahomes.

01:54:46 - 01:54:49 | Speaker 5:

Will you say he's the greatest athlete you ever coach? Oh, my.

01:54:49 - 01:54:49 | Speaker 4:

Well.

01:54:49 - 01:54:50 | Speaker 5:

You coached your sons, right?

01:54:50 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 4:

I coached Joe. I mean. Have you seen my kids? No. No, my kids were great. Dylan was great, though, because Luke was the littlest.

01:55:00 - 01:55:04 | Speaker 5:

kid on the team and i would say to dylan i would go all right dylan you got to go out there and

01:55:04 - 01:55:40 | Speaker 2:

protect luke he goes i got you coach so beyonce's stolen unreleased music that we talked about yesterday it was stolen from uh her choreographer's car that was like parked in a parking garage in atlanta had a bunch of flash drives on it that contained unreleased songs and set lists and all kinds of top secret stuff. Well, it may be recovered thanks to a tracking device that was hidden on these computers, on these drives. And I know that because they just released the 911 call that that choreographer made.

01:55:40 - 01:56:09 | Speaker 1:

Someone broke into my car. Okay. Are you at a business? Park at a business? No. I was parked in a garage while I went to a restaurant, but they stole my computer and everything, but it has a tracker on it. And it's really, really important information in there. Like, I work with someone who's, like, of a high status, and I really need the, um... What's your name? My computer and everything.

01:56:09 - 01:56:21 | Speaker 2:

So somebody told me this morning that they actually, um, so they already got it back. They're analyzing fingerprints and have issued a search warrant or issued a warrant, uh, like an arrest warrant. So they may already have somebody, like a

01:56:21 - 01:56:43 | Speaker 4:

suspect. I pray this ain't an inside job i hate to even think that way it seems like a setup when you first said the story yes i want to keep my mom quiet and i don't know why i'm like dog like either this is an inside job or these like how do you there are millions of cars in the world you break into the one car in a parking garage that got beyonce new album on it yeah that last part hasn't been confirmed to me but somebody

01:56:43 - 01:57:17 | Speaker 2:

01:57:32 - 01:57:36 | Speaker 5:

01:58:01 - 01:58:08 | Speaker 5:

During the last commercial break, I just bought Brad Galley's living room furniture.

01:58:09 - 01:58:12 | Speaker 4:

No, I'm just kidding. Delivery included. It would be so funny.

01:58:12 - 01:58:28 | Speaker 5:

He's a great sport, by the way. He's such a great sport. He had no clue why we were calling him this morning. Cody is a winner. Cody, congratulations, Cody. Cody. Yeah. How you doing, buddy? Awesome.

01:58:28 - 01:58:28 | Speaker 4:

How are you guys?

01:58:29 - 01:59:30 | Speaker 5:

Fantastic. Cody, we are getting you qualified for a brand new car. It is a loaded 2025 Chevrolet Trax, and you have a chance to win that at Gordon Chevrolet a week from tomorrow. I'm geeked as hell, man. Thank you guys so much. I appreciate you, man. Would you take the car or the cash? Definitely the car. I love it. Congratulations, man. It's going to be fun. You've got a $50 gas card to Kroger, courtesy of Green Flame Tequila. And we will get you all the information about next week. We are going to be Thursday of next week doing a special edition of the Throwback Throwdown. We're actually going to have two Throwback Throwdowns next week. So you have a chance to redeem yourself if you lose a car for a listener. Although there's not going to be much redeeming. I'll be quite honest with you. You're going to feel like crap if you lose a car for a listener. I'm all for it, too.

01:59:31 - 01:59:32 | Speaker 4:

Have you ever won a car?

01:59:32 - 01:59:49 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I think I won the first year. What did that feel like? Amazing. Amazing. And it is the worst anxiety in the whole entire world to play throwback throwdown live anyway when everybody's just eyeballs are staring at you, but when a car is on the line or 20 grand?

01:59:50 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 5:

To me, you know, we do a lot for listeners, right? We are very good at making sure that we take care of our listeners. We have great customer service.

02:00:00 - 02:00:26 | Speaker 2:

here on the show. Customer service. No, seriously. I'm not lying to you. We do a lot of good stuff for our listeners. I know some radio shows that don't do dick for their listeners. Well, we do a lot. Well, the problem is, and this is something that's crazy with this, the listeners turn on us when we do stuff like this. So they actually will give us crap if we don't win. And I remember one year.

02:00:26 - 02:00:29 | Speaker 3:

One year, somebody actually gave us crap and pooped on the floor. It was her kid.

02:00:29 - 02:01:36 | Speaker 2:

No, I'm not even talking about that funny thing. That was actually last year, by the way. Do you know that? Yeah. Isn't that funny that that happened last year? No, one year, the person called our prize department, Cody, and complained because they said that they had, I think it was slim, and they felt like they got bamboozled by him. They felt like he. Like, in what way? They felt like he did not, you know, do as well as he normally does when they do the thing and they felt like they were going to be the one that was going to choose you know they were going to get to choose first because the way that it works is not like throwback throwdown where we pick up the line and go you're your first person pick you're the second person pick we pick out of a hat and the person goes and then they pick who they want to be with or or actually i'm sorry no we i think you get to pick out of that we pick out of that right right anything and so that so that's i don't know what it's called It's the little, like, bingo night where you pick balls out of it. So they got all pissed off, and they got real salty with us. And since then, they've been listening to WOMC.

02:01:37 - 02:01:43 | Speaker 1:

There's something to that, though. Should we switch it up? Should we just pull one of the balls out of the thing and then ask that person, who do you want?

02:01:43 - 02:01:45 | Speaker 2:

No, I like it the way that we've been doing it.

02:01:45 - 02:01:50 | Speaker 1:

I think it has to stay the same because the rules say that. Yeah, we're brainstorming.

02:01:51 - 02:02:20 | Speaker 2:

I know, and you're right. And we, those who don't know that, we brainstorm on the radio. We don't actually do it off the air. So, okay. I want to bring in Bianca for a topic here next. Kazi. Hey. And those that don't know Bianca, she is our director of social impact. And by the way, I moved your topic from the time that it was supposed to be because you were calling our second date update callers. We got to figure this out because I feel like I've been doing Bianca at the same time every single morning.

02:02:20 - 02:02:22 | Speaker 3:

I was just thinking about that.

02:02:22 - 02:02:28 | Speaker 2:

She always is on it right around this time. And I always end up getting the people that go, why is she?

02:02:29 - 02:02:29 | Speaker 4:

We hate her.

02:02:31 - 02:02:37 | Speaker 2:

People are very judgy of when newer members of the show come on the show. And they're very judgy.

02:02:38 - 02:02:40 | Speaker 4:

Haters going to hate. It's okay. It's all love out here.

02:02:40 - 02:03:17 | Speaker 2:

You'll get the texters. The texter will be like, I like KP more. And they did it with her, too. I liked Ellen more. It's like all this stuff. Always. And it's all that crap. And I hate when people do that because you don't understand. We read what you're writing so we can see what your thoughts are about, you know, each other on the show. And I think that when you do that, you understand that you're, you know, hurting somebody's feelings. But you're also honestly not being fair to the person that you're talking about that you liked more because everybody is such an individual. You know, everybody is so different on this radio show.

02:03:17 - 02:03:20 | Speaker 4:

I feel like it only means something if they say it to my face. It was behind a screen.

02:03:20 - 02:03:28 | Speaker 1:

anyone can say that but i gotta be honest with you i like kp i'm just kidding i love you bianca

02:03:28 - 02:03:49 | Speaker 2:

bianca bianca is in with us this morning because and when she brought up this as a topic i thought wait a second we never talked about bianca getting this from a listener but explain explain what you gave to a guy that you just found out kind of like broke your heart a little bit um so i think i might

02:03:49 - 02:04:12 | Speaker 4:

of crossed a little bit of boundaries here but there was a guy i was like talking to a little bit nothing really serious but he just moved here from like texas or something and he was like i'm just like really broke right now i'm just like i just need some money he kind of was like hinting like he's broke whatever i was like oh okay so i willingly apple paid him two hundred dollars

02:04:12 - 02:04:13 | Speaker 2:

Oh, snap.

02:04:13 - 02:04:14 | Speaker 3:

$200.

02:04:14 - 02:04:15 | Speaker 2:

How long have you known this man?

02:04:15 - 02:04:18 | Speaker 3:

Like a week. And how did you guys meet?

02:04:18 - 02:04:18 | Speaker 2:

On Instagram?

02:04:19 - 02:04:27 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, literally. And that's it. Just because, you gave him $200 just because, out of the kindness of your heart. Yeah, I was like, here you go, to get you set up in Michigan and little...

02:04:27 - 02:04:30 | Speaker 2:

He had to be cute. Was he cute? He was so cute. Oh, my God.

02:04:30 - 02:04:31 | Speaker 4:

That was my type to experience.

02:04:31 - 02:04:36 | Speaker 3:

You're probably the 10th girl that he... Copy and paste. Yes, exactly. I don't know.

02:04:36 - 02:04:37 | Speaker 4:

He seems, like, really appreciative.

02:04:37 - 02:04:43 | Speaker 2:

What were you hoping, like, what were you giving him $200 for, to help him pay his bills or what?

02:04:43 - 02:04:54 | Speaker 4:

Oh, well, I thought maybe he would, like, take me out. He would like me. He was like, oh, like, we could definitely go on dates together and stuff. I was like, okay, bad. So you're buying a boyfriend. Yeah. By the way. I guess that's how you want to put it.

02:04:54 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 2:

By the way, can I tell you something? That is a guy thing to do. Like, that is a very. What is? Guys, guys do that.

02:05:00 - 02:05:15 | Speaker 1:

guy buddies that have done that and I'm not talking about like older guy buddies that are like my age. I'm talking about even when they were younger and I was younger in my 20s and stuff. Buddies would give girls money when they would say, hey, I'm not doing good as a way to get a date with them.

02:05:16 - 02:05:17 | Speaker 7:

Oh, okay. Wait, so guys would give girls money?

02:05:18 - 02:05:21 | Speaker 1:

Oh, guys would give girls money. Which, by the way, I want to bring something up with Bianca with that.

02:05:21 - 02:05:25 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, don't play like that didn't just happen to you. If you think Bianca

02:05:25 - 02:05:41 | Speaker 1:

got swindled by this guy by giving him money and now you know this guy's you know uh which by the way we'll find out the full story in a second bianca when she was going to miami had some random listener guy send her 300 a venmo it all

02:05:41 - 02:06:13 | Speaker 7:

comes back around i know it's all it's called paying it forward there you go but um all right so what happened with this guy so i definitely thought that we were going to be something i don't know i was very delusional but i found out he actually has a baby mama has a girlfriend has a kid with her, and I'm like, bruh, again. How did you find that out? Because he posted it on Instagram. Literally, hard launch. Hard launch that boy. After the Venmo. After the Venmo. So he's definitely using that as like a baby registry or some baby gift here. Bianca. I know. Isn't that crazy?

02:06:13 - 02:06:14 | Speaker 3:

Does your dad, does Al know?

02:06:15 - 02:06:22 | Speaker 7:

He don't know. No, he's always, I mean, you guys are always exposing me on here. They don't know anything. You're telling yourself. I know, but.

02:06:22 - 02:06:34 | Speaker 1:

Let's go back. He's sending dudes money like that. Let's go back here for a second. The guy says, I'm broke. That should be your first indication. Red flag. I'm not going to go on a date with this guy because he's financially not doing well. I feel bad.

02:06:34 - 02:06:36 | Speaker 7:

I feel bad. Would you ever do that? Would you ever ask a girl for money?

02:06:37 - 02:06:41 | Speaker 2:

No. I've never asked a girl for money in my life. My question to you is. I've asked a girl to get some shoes for me that I paid for.

02:06:41 - 02:06:49 | Speaker 3:

Wait. Why $200? Why wouldn't you just give him like. First off, I don't know why you gave him anything, but why not $40? Why $200?

02:06:49 - 02:06:53 | Speaker 7:

I offered initially. I actually offered initially $100, and he's like, I don't think that's good.

02:06:54 - 02:06:56 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Oh, my God.

02:06:57 - 02:07:01 | Speaker 3:

Bianca, I love you. You are dumb. You are dumb.

02:07:01 - 02:07:11 | Speaker 2:

And then I was like, all right, I'll double it. He said, I don't think that's going to be enough. No, you are so dumb. You are really dumb.

02:07:11 - 02:07:19 | Speaker 7:

For real. He's going to pay me back, too, but that's not coming back. Blonde. It was like a loan that never came back. That's crazy.

02:07:19 - 02:07:26 | Speaker 1:

I seriously love this girl. Like, I do, right? You love her, too? Like, she's a sister to you, right?

02:07:26 - 02:07:27 | Speaker 3:

I do.

02:07:27 - 02:07:39 | Speaker 1:

I don't know how she leaves the house in the morning without hurting herself. I mean, I feel like Kevin, when Kevin the other day is like, and you, Bianca. Let me hear your imitation of Bianca.

02:07:40 - 02:07:51 | Speaker 2:

Okay, bro. What is it? It's not words. It's just emotions. That sounds like goofy. Well, I mean. Okay, bro. You can chill.

02:07:51 - 02:07:56 | Speaker 1:

You can chill. You can chill. You can chill. George, what's up, George?

02:07:58 - 02:08:04 | Speaker 2:

I just wanted to tell Bianca, she's gorgeous. She should be getting wine and dine and never give a man money no matter what. Yeah.

02:08:04 - 02:08:11 | Speaker 7:

Well, it was a one-time donation fee. Never happening again, especially the fact that he has a kid. So I was like, all right, and a girl.

02:08:11 - 02:08:15 | Speaker 5:

But you should always have the guys wine and dine you, though, for real.

02:08:16 - 02:08:17 | Speaker 7:

I know. That's what Lydia tells me all the time.

02:08:17 - 02:08:47 | Speaker 1:

And the guys that can't wine and dine yet, you don't need to be with them. I'm not going to say it. Listen, the guys that can't even afford to take you out for a coffee or whatever at Starbucks. That's wine and dine? Well, listen, that's my minimum, bare minimum. All right, we'll say that, dude. But if this guy's like $100, if he couldn't deal it with $100, and the guy goes, I want more out of this whole deal, that guy is a third. Well, that's a scam. He's not trying to be where for it.

02:08:47 - 02:08:54 | Speaker 7:

I don't know if it was a desperation. I just felt like it was very nice. I was trying to be nice, but also I liked him. You do stupid stuff and you like someone. That's it.

02:08:55 - 02:08:57 | Speaker 1:

Lexi, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

02:08:57 - 02:09:09 | Speaker 6:

You don't give a man money. You let him send you money. Don't be doing that. That's the biggest red flag I have ever heard. You can't ask.

02:09:09 - 02:09:20 | Speaker 5:

I'm just blown away that you had sent him $200, to be entirely honest with you right now. Like the mom that she wants to come to the show and just be like, girl, no. We're going to find you a nice, healthy man that will send you money.

02:09:20 - 02:09:29 | Speaker 1:

Please. I know. Help this girl out. I'm now getting the same anxiety that Lydia gets from her. I still can't believe that Lydia.

02:09:29 - 02:09:32 | Speaker 6:

Give her my number and we will teach her the ways, honestly, please.

02:09:32 - 02:09:37 | Speaker 1:

All right. Thank you. Lydia, make sure that we share. What's up, Kara? Hi.

02:09:38 - 02:09:39 | Speaker 4:

Hey, how are you?

02:09:39 - 02:09:40 | Speaker 1:

Good. What's going on?

02:09:41 - 02:09:46 | Speaker 4:

I'm just calling to say I'm a single mom and I could go for a Bianca in male form.

02:09:48 - 02:09:50 | Speaker 1:

Bianca, will you help her out?

02:09:50 - 02:09:53 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I got you. I got $200 coming your way next. What's your Apple Pay?

02:09:55 - 02:09:57 | Speaker 4:

I mean, girl, you got to find a better man.

02:09:58 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 7:

Oh, I know. I just can't. See, this.

02:10:00 - 02:10:05 | Speaker 2:

was a latino a latino man so i guess i got i don't got to go for those ones now i like no it's not

02:10:05 - 02:10:24 | Speaker 4:

it's not about the latinos it's about the guy well it was just a bad experience with one but you're right uh or lester what's up hi gang how are you good morning lester i'm seriously i got more gray hairs popping out of me right now and it's all since bianca started here listen bianca i was

02:10:24 - 02:10:50 | Speaker 7:

just like you. I'm going to be 60 years old next Sunday, and I don't have any money right now today because I gave all my money away to sad sob stories. My mother once told me, when a person is down and out and broke, leave them there because it's the reason why. Girl, listen, I'm there for you. I'm with you. I learned my lesson now that I'm broke, but I'm still here.

02:10:51 - 02:10:52 | Speaker 3:

Experience costs. You guys say hi

02:10:52 - 02:10:55 | Speaker 7:

to Josiah, my grandson. Yeah, that's right.

02:10:55 - 02:11:01 | Speaker 3:

I forgot about that. Shout out to Josiah. The other Josiah. Hi, Josiah. A second day, I took me back. I said, huh?

02:11:02 - 02:11:03 | Speaker 4:

Jen, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

02:11:05 - 02:11:06 | Speaker 5:

Hello. Good morning.

02:11:07 - 02:11:08 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. What's going on?

02:11:08 - 02:11:19 | Speaker 5:

Yes. I have a similar situation with Bianca. What is it? Normally, no. Normally, no. You do not give a guy money. What's her situation?

02:11:21 - 02:11:23 | Speaker 4:

She's got some guy that's...

02:11:23 - 02:11:45 | Speaker 5:

I was talking to a guy for a few weeks online. First day we met him, or I met him, he did have a kid as well. And he told me that his furnace was down, middle of winter. So I gave him money to fix his furnace. Well, long story short, it worked out. We've been married for nine years. Oh, my gosh.

02:11:46 - 02:11:48 | Speaker 4:

And question for you.

02:11:48 - 02:11:49 | Speaker 5:

So it does work out sometimes.

02:11:49 - 02:11:53 | Speaker 4:

Jen, though, do you bring more money in than he does now, or did he finally catch up?

02:11:55 - 02:11:56 | Speaker 7:

We're about equal.

02:11:56 - 02:11:56 | Speaker 4:

Oh, gee.

02:11:56 - 02:12:09 | Speaker 2:

To be fair, too, for your situation, you had met and gone out with him a couple of times. Yeah. I only knew this guy for a week. Had you ever even met him in person? Yeah, one time. It was the day after. So I'm like, was he setting me up for the money in the first place?

02:12:09 - 02:12:10 | Speaker 4:

Did you guys kiss when you met?

02:12:10 - 02:12:11 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, of course.

02:12:11 - 02:12:13 | Speaker 4:

So you liked the way he kissed?

02:12:13 - 02:12:14 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, of course.

02:12:14 - 02:12:23 | Speaker 4:

By the way, it's like prostitution. I've been on a dresser. What's going on? Jenna, what's up?

02:12:24 - 02:12:44 | Speaker 6:

Hi. So I can't really say anything about Bianca's situation because I gave somebody two grand. And he called me saying that, like, he was in jail and he needed to be bailed out. And I had only known him for, like, a month or so. And I was like, okay.

02:12:45 - 02:12:50 | Speaker 4:

Did you go to the actual jail and bail him out or did you just send the money? because I would think that would be a scam.

02:12:51 - 02:13:00 | Speaker 6:

I sent his friend the money. This guy had also just stole my car. Oh, my God.

02:13:00 - 02:13:16 | Speaker 4:

Why are the pretty ones always so dumb? Oh, my God. These stories are priceless. I'm telling you, this is unbelievable. Paul, what did you want to say? Hey, good morning. Good morning, everyone.

02:13:16 - 02:13:19 | Speaker 7:

Good morning. a long time first time

02:13:58 - 02:14:00 | Speaker 7:

02:14:00 - 02:14:02 | Speaker 4:

02:23:33 - 02:23:42 | Speaker 1:

My goodness, I can't believe y'all got me. Many times I listen to y'all, and y'all get everybody else. I never thought I would be the one.

02:24:04 - 02:24:07 | Speaker 1:

Okay, okay. It's Mojo in the Morning.

02:24:08 - 02:24:09 | Unknown:

Sweet.

02:24:10 - 02:24:11 | Speaker 1:

Five lies to tell your mom.

02:24:12 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 2:

All right, it's Mojo in the Morning. Yesterday I had an appointment. Actually, it's funny. You and I both had some tests to get done this week, right? Yeah. So yesterday I had an appointment, and I guess we could talk about both of them, but I don't know how much time we got here. Let me look at the commercial. Oh, yeah, I guess we can do it. And so I had an appointment yesterday to go get a follow-up test done from back when I had the aneurysm, the heart aneurysm. So I had to go get some things done, which is, you know, one of those yearly things where you're like, oh, God, this is, I hope everything is okay. You know what I mean? Like, because I always feel like I'm dying. I'm a hypochondriac, and I feel like that. The best thing in the world happened to me yesterday. I got a show topic out of it. because when I was there getting my

02:25:00 - 02:26:11 | Speaker 1:

test done, the place that I went to, to go get it done, had two people working and they had to do the test together. There was like one person kind of maneuvering me and my, my, you know, big fat body. And the other one was in the other room doing the scanning stuff like behind a computer. Well, they weren't getting along with each other. It seemed like it, it got to a point where i don't know if the one was not putting me in the position the right position and the other was getting frustrated by it and then her frustration came out on the guy that was doing this and me like we're why you because it's not your fault i think she she was uh thinking that i wasn't being cooperative or something i don't know i was just saying i was sitting on this thing and they kept moving me in and out of like a circular dome like donut thing you know and so i'm standing there like this going i can't move you put me in that position and it was one of those machines that would go it would have a guy's voice pop on there that's like a computerized voice and go breathe in hold your breath oh yeah and i always think i'm gonna die when that's happening and then it goes breathe normal well because they don't tell you how long i just had

02:26:11 - 02:26:19 | Speaker 4:

that done too they don't tell you how long you're gonna be holding your breath for yes so i'm like i don't know if i'm supposed to take a big breath or if i could just take a normal breath and hold

02:26:19 - 02:27:12 | Speaker 1:

it well it had done it like five or six times and then all of a sudden i don't hear the guy's voice anymore i hear the lady's voice which by the way the guy's voice was a computerized thing the lady's voice then comes on and goes like like it sounded like honestly no it's it sounded like uh charlie brown's uh teacher you ever you know who i'm talking about like charlie brown's teacher i didn't understand exactly what what she was saying and so i said so i said what and she goes stop talking wow it was crazy so then they started arguing a little bit and what you know he's kind of going back and forth and i'm like oh my god these guys are crazy you ever witness people at their jobs argue with each other like co but you're the the customer like two waiters or two waitresses or cooking in a this happened to me at

02:27:12 - 02:27:24 | Speaker 2:

subway before i went in there to get my sandwich made and it was one of those situations where not to say like no point like you cut attention with a knife you could tell something was going on with them and they kind of arguing back in the fourth and i'm like y'all good

02:27:24 - 02:27:39 | Speaker 4:

you guys know if i'm in a situation where two people are arguing with each other i get so insanely uncomfortable yeah i do not like being around that shannon hate shannon recalls her

02:27:39 - 02:27:52 | Speaker 1:

childhood when her parents must have argued because ever anytime that people argue i get so i was laughing hysterically at these two yelling at each other you would have sat there and gone

02:27:52 - 02:27:59 | Speaker 2:

my anxiety would have been wild you're in a hospital though like if there's any place where

02:27:59 - 02:28:18 | Speaker 1:

02:28:26 - 02:28:50 | Speaker 1:

friday because i'm thinking no you don't care anymore your last job is like hopefully not to Like, watch me just do something stupid, bud. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Have you ever been the customer at a business that had employees fighting with each other, like where the people were fighting? And what did you do, like Kevin's subway or me with these two people? What's up, Crystal? Hi.

02:28:51 - 02:28:55 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Mojo. I just wanted to tell you, stop calling yourself fat all the time.

02:28:55 - 02:28:56 | Speaker 1:

Oh, stop. Come on.

02:28:57 - 02:29:03 | Speaker 3:

You look great. You're doing great for yourself. And every time I hear you say that, I'm just like, stop it.

02:29:03 - 02:29:16 | Speaker 1:

Did you see the size of my boobs in the picture that I took the other day with the 5 at 6.55, 15-time champion? I literally could breastfeed an entire planet. I'm not going to lie to you.

02:29:16 - 02:29:18 | Speaker 3:

You mean a manger? It's crazy.

02:29:18 - 02:29:40 | Speaker 1:

I'm going and getting a breast reduction. If any women know of any good places to go to or doctors, I've got to get one of those. So thank you, Crystal, for that. That's very nice of you. You're welcome. Crystal, have you ever been at a business where you witnessed two people fighting with each other? Have you ever gone out to somewhere and they're arguing?

02:29:42 - 02:29:44 | Speaker 3:

I don't think so.

02:29:45 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 1:

I have another example of this. Can I tell you another example? Yeah. I can't remember if it was Macy's or if it was at Nordstrom's, but it was at the 12 Oaks Mall. And the two employees were arguing over whose pants they were that who had the.

02:30:00 - 02:30:35 | Speaker 3:

last pair of the pants there was so they were bringing in a pair of pants to a guy and i don't know what size the guy's pants were and the one woman goes no those are my pants and then the other woman's like those are my pants and it was macy's and then the woman goes to the other woman the two macy's employees go well you don't clean up your and she says the shi and she goes well you never clean it up anyway because you're lazy and they're arguing back and forth and the whole time i'm just sitting there dumbfounded going this poor guy needs his underwear michelle what's up

02:30:35 - 02:31:20 | Speaker 5:

good morning hi good morning so i went to the panera bread in taylor and there i was waiting on my food and i was looking around because i heard a bunch of yelling and the manager was yelling at a couple of the employees in the back and i mean it was so loud everybody was like looking like what the heck's going on one of the other employees that she was yelling at she just you know they were in a touching match with each other like they were yelling and i was like oh my god i couldn't believe that and so i waited till they handed me my food and the manager handed me my food and i said you know everybody could hear that and i said it's so unprofessional i said you really shouldn't be doing that in a place of business

02:31:20 - 02:31:22 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's good for you. What was the response?

02:31:24 - 02:31:34 | Speaker 5:

And she's like, well, people are just getting on my skin. And I said, well, if you're in a place of business, like you being the manager, you should already know this. Like, I'll call people out.

02:31:34 - 02:31:40 | Speaker 2:

Good thing you got your food already before you said that. I know. Smart move.

02:31:40 - 02:31:42 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Otherwise, that ain't going to be very good.

02:31:44 - 02:31:51 | Speaker 1:

Mojo's Summer of Cars, Cash, and Gas is driven by Gordon Chevrolet in Garden City. Your chance to win happens in minutes on Mojo in the Morning.

02:31:52 - 02:32:18 | Speaker 3:

All right. We are going to do the last of our Cars, Cash, and Gas for the day on Mojo in the Morning, but it will continue on Channel 955 in Detroit. You can listen if you're in the Detroit area on that radio station or on the iHeartRadio app. You can also have an opportunity to win if you're listening to us in Toledo or Grand Rapids. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. What are you doing?

02:32:18 - 02:32:26 | Speaker 2:

I keep forgetting that this mic has an off button. My keys are stuck under the holders, and I couldn't move my mic, and it just sounded crazy.

02:32:26 - 02:32:27 | Speaker 3:

How many keys do you have?

02:32:27 - 02:32:40 | Speaker 2:

I come from a family. You should see my mom is like a prison warden. She has keys from every house we've ever lived in. I'm like, we're never going back. I don't know what the keys are to say. But I got a good one, two, three, four, five, six.

02:32:41 - 02:33:23 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. We were out last night to dinner. It was a group of us that were out. and uh will our buddy will had his keys and he put them on the table and ryan picked up the keys and i'm not kidding you i say this to you he not only had like keys that were to like the car the doors and all that stuff he had like the old time look like a prison cell he had uh little ones that looked like he had like little locks for his diaries from the fifth grade book fair it was honestly and ryan picks it up and is like look at this and it was like on a like a like one of those like circular things like you know how you're yeah the old man and scooby-doo like walking

02:33:23 - 02:33:29 | Speaker 4:

with the light down i have one key my key fob for my car that's it what well that's it the funniest

02:33:29 - 02:33:34 | Speaker 3:

thing is i think that the people that have lots of keys i think they have somebody locked up in

02:33:34 - 02:33:38 | Speaker 2:

a basement that's what it is don't you we got to go over to the house and check it's like silence

02:33:38 - 02:33:41 | Speaker 3:

of the lambs or something like that. There's something going on with that.

02:33:41 - 02:33:44 | Speaker 2:

How do you have one key, though? Just my car key.

02:33:44 - 02:33:50 | Speaker 3:

Do you ever get burned by the electronic stuff? Do you? Where your battery goes dead or something?

02:33:50 - 02:33:58 | Speaker 4:

What I do now is I also keep a key, a house key. I'm not going to say where, but somewhere. Under the rabbit pot.

02:33:58 - 02:34:00 | Speaker 3:

Now that she says that, that might be.

02:34:00 - 02:34:02 | Speaker 4:

It's actually nowhere around my house.

02:34:02 - 02:34:10 | Speaker 3:

That might be, on the scale of not secure, worse than Brad Galley and Claire Galley selling their stuff on Facebook.

02:34:10 - 02:34:18 | Speaker 4:

Somebody keeps it for me. But I'm saying, I do have a house key now because I've been burned so many times by using my garage code to get in my house and not having a key.

02:34:19 - 02:34:30 | Speaker 2:

Does every key fob do this? So look at my Jeep key fob real quick. Mojo, look. There's this little button on the back here, like a little lever. And you pull out the key. Oh, everybody do that? Yeah. Where do you put the key at, though?

02:34:30 - 02:34:37 | Speaker 3:

So you pull off a little piece on the door handle, and it's got a place to open up the door.

02:34:37 - 02:34:38 | Speaker 2:

I didn't even know about that.

02:34:38 - 02:34:38 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:34:39 - 02:34:42 | Speaker 2:

Is that a new car? No, it's the same thing.

02:34:42 - 02:34:50 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. It's on there. I didn't know that. I realized that when I locked myself out of the car one time, and the key fob battery was dead. Yeah. That's how you get in.

02:34:50 - 02:34:51 | Speaker 2:

So pull off the door handle.

02:34:51 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 3:

So there's like a little thing on the door handle. Like you can see on some cars, not on everybody's cars, because I don't want you to be responsible for pulling something off.

02:35:00 - 02:35:12 | Speaker 4:

knowledge um all right let me let me grab uh the last winner while shannon does the dirty mojo in the mornings dirty on the 30 what do you got shannon you and taylor swift's dad now have

02:35:12 - 02:35:50 | Speaker 2:

something in common who me he just had heart surgery oh did he really yeah taylor swift's dad scott recovering from a pretty major heart surgery he's 73 years old underwent a quintuple bypass oh wow about a month ago and both taylor and her brother austin along with their mom andrea were there for the operation and have been at his side really for the majority of the recovery process and the update that i just got when i got this story is that he's he's doing great he's feeling fantastic the surgery was successful that's good the obama is the former president and first lady hitting back at all of those divorce rumors on her in my opinion podcast

02:35:50 - 02:36:00 | Speaker 5:

these are the kinds of things that i just miss right so i don't even know this stuff's going on And then somebody will mention it to me and I'm all like, what are you talking about?

02:36:00 - 02:36:22 | Speaker 1:

There hasn't been one moment in our marriage where I thought about quitting my man. And we've had some really hard times. So we have had a lot of fun times, a lot of adventures and I have become a better person because of the man I'm married to.

02:36:23 - 02:36:24 | Speaker 5:

Okay. Don't make me cry.

02:36:24 - 02:36:28 | Speaker 2:

Right at the beginning. Obama! Time to leave him alone now with the rumors.

02:36:29 - 02:36:47 | Speaker 4:

Can we talk Epstein real quick? Yeah. Why not? Because I know we haven't done it. So yesterday, and this was a big news story. Yesterday, the Democrats tried to vote to open up an investigation into this. And the Republicans said no to the Epstein files. And then yesterday.

02:36:47 - 02:36:50 | Speaker 2:

So we're now acknowledging that there are Epstein files.

02:36:50 - 02:37:28 | Speaker 4:

They say no. They say no, because what they're saying is they're saying that the Republicans said no. And the reason they said no was it's not them opening up the Epstein files. They're saying yes to that. They're saying no. If they say yes to the Democrats on that, then they give the floor to the Democrats and they can bring up other stuff to where right now the Republicans have the floor. I guess there's some kind of a procedural thing. But with that said, Republican House with the what do they call him? the Speaker of the House, he came out saying that he thinks that they need to do an investigation about these things and release these files. This morning, President Trump pushing back

02:37:28 - 02:37:33 | Speaker 8:

on calls from his base to release the Jeffrey Epstein files. He was never a big factor in terms

02:37:33 - 02:37:40 | Speaker 6:

of life. I don't understand what the interest or what the fascination is. The comments coming just

02:37:40 - 02:37:50 | Speaker 8:

after Trump again backed Attorney General Pam Bondi in her decision to withhold thousands of documents and videos about the investigation into the sex offender, despite the president's

02:37:50 - 02:37:55 | Speaker 6:

campaign promise to release the files. Whatever she thinks is credible, she should release.

02:37:55 - 02:38:20 | Speaker 8:

Bondi says the unreleased files contain graphic details about child abuse and will not be made public. The decision drawing calls for her resignation. I'm going to be here for as long as the president wants me here. House Democrats pushed for a resolution to force the release within 30 days. It failed, with only one GOP member supporting it. But more Republicans now starting to question why Bondi will not release the full file. I don't know that she was specific

02:38:20 - 02:38:24 | Speaker 7:

about a list or whatever, but she needs to come forward and explain that to everybody.

02:38:25 - 02:38:30 | Speaker 8:

Some Republicans want Epstein's convicted co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell to testify

02:38:30 - 02:38:39 | Speaker 3:

before Congress. This is the worst, one of the worst human trafficking rings in American history run by this scumbag. And I think the more we know about it, the more we get out there,

02:38:39 - 02:39:05 | Speaker 8:

the better it is. Conservative commentators and podcasters who helped amplify Trump's platform during the 2024 campaign, now slamming the administration's lack of transparency. Everything he campaigned on, I believe he wanted to do. And now he's doing the exact opposite thing. Joe Rogan mocking the DOJ and the FBI to his 20 million subscribers over the administration's handling of the files. They've got videotape, and all of a sudden they don't. Kash Patel said there's nothing you're looking for.

02:39:05 - 02:39:06 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay.

02:39:07 - 02:39:45 | Speaker 2:

Can I say something? I mean, what am I going to do? You were out last week, and I think we talked about this, about how the video, the raw surveillance video from the only functioning camera that was near Jeffrey Epstein's prison cell the night that he died, right? Yeah. Was missing a minute. Yeah. Okay. And, and the, the excuse was that happens every single day because that's when the video system resets itself. This morning, three minutes were actually missing from the video. And what we did end up seeing was stitched together using adobe premiere pro from two different video files

02:39:45 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 4:

and that's coming from metadata that guy did not kill himself he was killed and there's a reason they're covering up this epstein thing and i don't believe listen i know people are going to sit there and say oh he loves donald trump i don't

02:40:00 - 02:40:43 | Speaker 3:

believe donald trump was uh was on the in the secret files because if he was they already had that i said this before they already had the information his you know biden would have said that already somebody's in there and now they're saying that they're trying to protect the israeli government because they had people that were on the island they're saying maybe don jr was part of this thing just release the damn thing and and do it because now you look that was part What is Trump saying? Oh, you know, this happened so long ago. Why are we doing this? During the campaign set at the RNC convention, we're going to, you know, uncover that and Martin Luther King and all that stuff.

02:40:43 - 02:40:47 | Speaker 4:

That was to get elected. Now you're elected. I guess you don't got to live up to the promises.

02:40:47 - 02:41:29 | Speaker 3:

Well, I'm going to say this. You're already in there now. All politicians do it. Fairness. All politicians lie, right? but you're the guy that was calling politicians out for lying all the time yeah i like i like this side of you i'm gonna tell you something kevin i think that there's something going on here there's a hair in the butter a lot of a lot of hairs and they underage there well and i'm gonna tell you i think that not it's not just him covering it up it's the other guys too it's a bunch of people there's some people that are covering up a lot of people think that this is this is going to be bigger than what is ai for ai can't find a damn list ask ai chat gpt i mean come on who's on the list what does chat gpt say all these little people come on an arrest has been

02:41:29 - 02:41:53 | Speaker 1:

made in the double murder of a long time american american idol executive and her husband robin k the show's music producer she and her husband a musician by the name of tom deluca were found fatally shot in their california home this week they actually walked in on the burglary in process um and they were killed trying to confront this guy homeowners returned back to their residence

02:41:53 - 02:42:05 | Speaker 2:

a violent struggle ensued between them and the suspect who was already inside their home which resulted in the victims tragically who is this again american idols who american idols

02:42:05 - 02:42:20 | Speaker 1:

Danielle's longtime music supervisor. So she's been a part of the show forever and ever. Shot in the head, both her and her husband, found in different parts of the home. They did capture this guy, 22-year-old Raymond Bedarian is his name. He was found and arrested.

02:42:21 - 02:42:31 | Speaker 2:

Motive is unknown. We're still looking into whether he has any type of relationship with the victims. Right now, it is an apparent random attack. Wow. That's really scary.

02:42:31 - 02:42:47 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, the Emmy nominations announced yesterday, Severance leading the way with a total of 27 noms, followed by 24 for the Penguin. And the big story coming out of this, Beyonce and Jay-Z going up against one another in the Outstanding Variety Special Live category.

02:42:48 - 02:42:49 | Speaker 3:

May the best man win.

02:42:49 - 02:43:05 | Speaker 1:

So her nomination is for her Netflix special, Beyonce Bowl. He's nominated for his work as the executive producer on Kendrick's Super Bowl halftime show from this past year. That's great. And they, together, are going up against the SNL 50th Anniversary Special and the Oscars, also a part of that category.

02:43:05 - 02:43:18 | Speaker 4:

How big was Beyoncé Bowl? I don't really remember it like that. I think the Super Bowl is bigger. Yeah, that's what I'm trying to, I feel like a hole of my wind. Or better, better production. Oh, Beyoncé Bowl was when she performed during, was it the Chiefs and Texans on Christmas?

02:43:18 - 02:43:25 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it was. Oh, that's what they're, yeah. Oh, okay. That's what we were talking about. I thought it was like something that was a movie or something special. Yeah.

02:43:25 - 02:43:42 | Speaker 4:

Well, in that case, I might have to go Beyoncé Bowl. I know the Super Bowl was a bigger stage, and obviously Kanye – not Kanye. We love Kanye. I love Kanye. Oh, that was a slip. Kendrick had the Super Bowl was that big moment, but Beyonce Bowl, that particular performance on that day, I would say that performance was better as a whole.

Mojo in the Morning's Cush and Tell. This is a chance for you to meet Wiz Khalifa. All right, let me grab a couple of people here for Cush and Tell. Cush and Tell, tell us your greatest high moment and you have a chance to win. And it's too bad that radio can't accept sponsorships from any of these, you know, dispensaries. You know how much money that we would make? We would make so...

02:45:00 - 02:45:05 | Speaker 5:

Our revenue at this radio station with all the people that smoke on and listen to the show.

02:45:05 - 02:45:15 | Speaker 3:

I feel like oftentimes when things don't happen, it's one or two reasons. Morals or money. And I feel like more oftentimes it's the money over the morals. We just ain't taking out a way to cut the slice yet.

02:45:15 - 02:45:24 | Speaker 5:

We'll take the money. Unfortunately, we have to do FCC, and that's a federal thing. It's a legally federally. What's up, Kelsey? Are you there?

02:45:25 - 02:45:26 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I'm here.

02:45:26 - 02:45:32 | Speaker 5:

Kelsey, Cush and Tell to win Wiz Khalifa backstage passes. Tell us your greatest high moment.

02:45:34 - 02:45:40 | Speaker 7:

Well, it was when I first started smoking, which was right after that movie Taken came out with Liam Neeson. Yes.

02:45:41 - 02:45:48 | Speaker 4:

What does he say in that movie? He's like, I will get you, I will find you, and I will kill you. Yes.

02:45:50 - 02:46:11 | Speaker 7:

So me and my friend were hanging out, and her boyfriend asked us if we wanted to come over and smoke. We were like, yeah, of course. So we went over to his house, and we were hanging out, and we decided to do gravity bong hits with those big one-gallon buckets and the two-liters. I don't even know what that is. So you get a big one-gallon bucket, and you use the top of a two-liter and push it down, and it pushes the smoke into your mouth.

02:46:11 - 02:46:12 | Speaker 5:

Wow.

02:46:12 - 02:46:13 | Speaker 7:

Pretty much is what happened.

02:46:13 - 02:46:15 | Speaker 5:

And what happened to you?

02:46:16 - 02:47:22 | Speaker 7:

So we got really messed up, and we were sitting on the couch, and my friend's boyfriend had a friend come over. and they went outside and they were talking and me and my friend got so paranoid we heard them talking about selling something so we had just watched and taken so we were thinking that her boyfriend and his friend were going to sell us so we ran into her boyfriend's bedroom instead of using the outdoor door which was right behind us and we went into his room and we pushed the dresser in front of his door oh my god we were freaking out about what we're gonna do what are we gonna do so we're like we're gonna use his laptop and we're gonna try to find a way to get out. So we were trying to type and we were so high, we couldn't type anything. So we found a Ouija board. So we grabbed the Ouija board and we start using the Ouija board to try to tell us how to get out. And somehow in our brains, we thought that the Ouija board told us to tie sheets together to climb out the window. So we tied all these sheets together and tied them to the end of the bed and threw it out. And it turns out we were on the first floor. So we jumped out the window with the curtain hit the floor and crawled to her car and fell asleep in the back of her car

02:47:22 - 02:47:56 | Speaker 1:

i don't know who you are i don't know what you want if you're looking for ransom i can tell you i don't have money but what i do have are a very particular set of skills skills i've acquired over a very long career skills that make me a nightmare for people like you if you let my daughter go now that'll be the end of it i will not look for you i will not pursue you but if you don't i will look for

02:47:56 - 02:48:04 | Speaker 3:

you i will find you and i will kill you he should have listened y'all sure y'all was just smoking

02:49:08 - 02:49:09 | Speaker 5:

What did your dog do?

02:49:10 - 02:49:12 | Speaker 6:

Chocolate and pie. Well, this was December.

02:49:13 - 02:49:13 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:49:13 - 02:49:23 | Speaker 6:

It was December, so she laid under the Christmas tree staring at the Christmas tree lights for three days. Ditch laying in her own teeth. Oh, my God. God love her.

02:49:23 - 02:49:36 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. That poor dog, that is a great one. Poor husband. That is hysterical. Valerie, last one here. Valerie Cushenthal. So far we've got Kelsey and Amy. Let's hear Valerie.

02:49:37 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so I was home alone. I smoked, and I got really paranoid. I called 911. I was whispering to them that I thought someone was trying to break in my house. They showed up, and they had a bunch of flashlights outside of the house, did a full sweep, looked around. No one was there. I was

02:50:00 - 02:50:19 | Speaker 7:

really paranoid i watch a lot of dateline so i thought i was gonna be in like my own episode of suburban dateline panic yeah and i couldn't even look at the police when they were talking to me and they were telling me looks like no one tried to break in and no one was there oh no and valerie

02:50:19 - 02:50:25 | Speaker 3:

02:51:35 - 02:51:36 | Speaker 8:

02:51:36 - 02:51:39 | Speaker 3:

Oh, non-related events. Non-related, right?

02:51:41 - 02:51:45 | Speaker 8:

No, not after the brownie thing. She lived for a few years after that. Oh, good.

02:51:45 - 02:51:56 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that would have been horrible if that was the thing. All right, hold on one second. Wiz Khalifa and DaBaby, you are now qualified to go to that show and meet Wiz Khalifa and hang out with Wiz.

02:51:57 - 02:51:58 | Unknown:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo, three great stations, one stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning, live.

02:53:42 - 02:54:32 | Speaker 3:

Oh, man, there's stuff going on, there's stuff going on. I love this. I'm, like, so excited. First off, I was excited to see the Tigers playing the way that they've been playing lately. I mean, if you haven't been to a Tigers game in a while, go to a Tigers game and go enjoy how much fun it is to actually sit on a winning side now. which is awesome. We obviously know that the Lions were doing amazing this year. Red Wings kind of putting it together. Pistons, unbelievable, the Pistons. Well, now we even have a brand-new sports franchise that is right here in the Detroit area, and you're going to have a chance for the very first time to witness them play their first home game in Detroit. Have you followed, Shannon, the big three at all, The basketball league, the three-on-three basketball league.

02:54:32 - 02:54:35 | Speaker 1:

So I only know about the big three from you guys constantly talking about it.

02:54:36 - 02:54:50 | Speaker 3:

This is the league that was put together by Ice Cube. And they came to town. I don't even remember when it was. Was it five years ago? Came to town five years ago to do games in Detroit.

02:54:50 - 02:54:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh, we had Ice Cube in studio.

02:54:52 - 02:55:00 | Speaker 3:

And Ice Cube was in studio. And Lil' Caesars Arena was packed. They actually had more fans at that thing than they did at a Pistons game back in.

02:55:00 - 02:55:13 | Speaker 2:

the day now we have our own team the detroit amps which is owned by two of our very very good friends anthony tomey and tj lang and then another rich dude from uh eastern michigan what's his

02:55:13 - 02:55:20 | Speaker 1:

name uh keith stone what can i meet this guy you come on sunday yeah no he's a great guy i hear

02:55:20 - 02:55:28 | Speaker 2:

nothing but great i so i was talking to a buddy of mine who uh is on the board at eastern michigan And he just says, he says, man, this guy is making that university.

02:55:29 - 02:55:58 | Speaker 1:

I mean, he's given $34 million over the last three years to the technology school. We have our own Game Above Technology, School of Technology. We're the number one school in the country in autonomous cars. He just built an $8 million golf, indoor golf facility for Eastern. We do a ton with the school. We give back. This whole thing Game Above started as a philanthropy group. Yeah. You know, he does all this stuff and like TJ and myself and Charlie Batch, all the pro athletes except from eastern there's not a ton of us right um there's more there's more

02:55:58 - 02:56:03 | Speaker 2:

now yeah what's his name from max crosby max is the dog yeah i mean there's now there's you know

02:56:03 - 02:56:33 | Speaker 1:

we're getting some people out there but there wasn't a ton right and so we started this a long while ago and then he approached tj and i was like hey listen we love what you guys do and anthony you're really doing well in the community with your businesses tj obviously is a local celebrity um anything i do let's do it together like how do you say no right yeah and then he's He's like, let's go buy sports teams. I'm in, dude. I'm in. It's like a kid's dream. It's a dream, right? It's a dream. You know, you play professional sports. I'd love to own this team someday. It's a dream that you would never. I do own, by the way.

02:56:33 - 02:56:58 | Speaker 2:

I just want you to know I play all the time Madden. I was going to say, we'll be the show. You know, franchise mode. So this is Anthony Tomey. You've heard him before on our show. You have seen his beautiful label of Born in Detroit. He's got the store downtown off of Woodward. He's also owner of a bunch of great businesses like the Jimmy John's locations around. But he is now the owner. Are you, what do you call yourself, the general manager, owner?

02:56:59 - 02:57:08 | Speaker 1:

No, I'm just a co-owner. Keith is the owner. Keith and Sky, they're the owner owners. Yes, we're just, you know, we're part of the deal. We're owners. We're owners, you know.

02:57:08 - 02:57:10 | Speaker 2:

Do you walk around with a lanyard with your name on it? Please don't do that.

02:57:10 - 02:57:18 | Speaker 1:

I don't do that. No, I just walk around like a normal guy. And I try not to tell people that we own it. But, yeah, we're part of the deal. There's great amps. Yeah.

02:57:18 - 02:57:32 | Speaker 2:

I love the name. By the way, thank God that radio station is off the air. Otherwise, I would have been pissed at their name. I would have been so mad. Do you remember when we were in Farmington and you guys didn't have a name? Yes. We did. The What Up Do? Yes. The What Up Do? I do remember. But weren't you guys considering that? We were considering anything.

02:57:33 - 02:57:52 | Speaker 1:

This kind of came out of nowhere. The amplifiers were like, man, I don't know about that. And then it became the amps and everyone else came up with their names. Like, our name is so much better than everyone else's name. The Miami 305s, the L.A. Riot, like the Houston Righam. That's a crazy night. It's kind of a bad deal now, right?

02:57:52 - 02:57:59 | Speaker 2:

Okay, I kind of like Miami 305s, though. I mean, that is crazy. It's like unbelievable.

02:57:59 - 02:58:26 | Speaker 1:

It was just a precursor to what was going on. Is the New York team the World Trade Center? I mean, yeah, so, but, you know, we're actually the only ones that came out with our own merch, our own merch line, and, you know, the way it's been working, we have to have a third party to put it in, so we're the only ones with the storefront. That's great. That's right. So it's worked out really well for us to have that. Sales have been great. You know, we're getting out there. We're in store. We're online. We're just doing it all.

02:58:26 - 02:58:48 | Speaker 2:

So you guys have a game this weekend on Sunday at 3 o'clock at Little Caesars Arena where the Detroit Amps are going to be playing. And listen to this. The commissioner or the man, the myth, the legend, the Hall of Fame, greatest music legend around, rap legend around, hip-hop legend around, Ice Cube is going to be performing at that game. Oh, straight up.

02:58:48 - 02:59:08 | Speaker 1:

Yes, he just announced yesterday. We may have known beforehand, but we didn't say anything. And he went on yesterday and just announced, made a whole video about it, and said, yeah, I'm going to be performing. First time he's done that in the Big 3 level, which he's owned for almost his eighth season. So pretty crazy, and we're really excited to have him out there. Who's on our team that I would know?

02:59:08 - 02:59:10 | Speaker 2:

Bro, shout out Jordan Crawford from Detroit.

02:59:10 - 02:59:45 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, Jordan Crawford, Renaissance guy. He's played not for us, but he plays in the league. He plays for LA. Joe Johnson is our best player. He played 14 years. Call him ISO Joe. You see the guy who was on Atlanta? Yeah. This guy can play, man. He's first two weeks, he had 29 points and 30 points, and he got hurt. And at 43 years old, man, he's not coming back that next week, I tell you that. So we actually end up having to get another player because he's been out for two weeks, and this kid shows up, never played in the big three ever, went to Cal State Bakersfield, throws up 28 points yesterday on Sunday night. Who was that? His name was Cam Smith. Okay. Lid it up, had like seven threes.

02:59:45 - 02:59:55 | Speaker 2:

You know who you guys should sign? You should sign Beasley from the Pistons. And let him gamble on the games. I mean, the other Beasleys probably was the MVP, Michael Beasley. You got to relax, bro. You got to relax.

02:59:55 - 02:59:58 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, we'll probably stay away from that for a little bit. Can you gamble on these games?

02:59:59 - 03:00:00 | Speaker 2:

Can I gamble on the games?

03:00:00 - 03:00:02 | Speaker 1:

three-on-three games? With me, you

03:00:02 - 03:00:19 | Speaker 2:

probably get, or someone else. I don't think you can go online. It's not on DraftKings? No, it's not on DraftKings, amazingly. I thought it would be, but it's probably for the best that you don't, because no one knows what the hell's going on with these games. Yeah, really? You know, we won the first two games, lost by 20 the next game, won by 10 this week. It's a coin flip, man. It's a coin flip.

03:00:19 - 03:00:21 | Speaker 1:

Dwight Howard, Nick Young,

03:00:22 - 03:00:27 | Speaker 2:

Mike Beasley. There's been some good fights, and Lance Stevenson, this guy fights everybody.

03:00:27 - 03:00:38 | Speaker 1:

I'm not kidding. So, tickets are available, at AmpsTickets.com, A-M-P-S-Tickets.com, to get your tickets. Can you walk in and show up again?

03:00:38 - 03:01:03 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah, you can walk in. You can get them, AmpsTickets.com. You can go to my store, either in-store at Born of Detroit or at BornofDetroit.store. If you order $30 worth of Amps merch, you get two free tickets. Oh, wow. Pretty good deal. I mean, you buy a T-shirt, you get two free tickets. Yeah. It's a pretty good deal to get out there and just kind of, we want to encourage everyone to be there, right? We want the merch to go out there. We want you wearing our stuff. And we just said, hey, let's just make it available to everybody.

03:01:04 - 03:01:26 | Speaker 1:

Anthony, you're an athlete, obviously, a professional baseball player and stuff. I will tell you this. Anytime that I pick up a basketball, I look at it and I go, I think I can hit a three. And then I realize I cannot even hit the freaking rim anymore. Like, I am so out of shape and so bad. Do you ever play with these guys? Do you ever get out there and do it? I have not. Do you play pickup basketball?

03:01:26 - 03:01:34 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I play all the time. Do you really? Where do you play? Like Wabik? I play at Doha, at Shenandoah a lot. I play just with a bunch of guys on the side.

03:01:34 - 03:01:54 | Speaker 1:

Is it called Doha now? Yeah, Doha. Oh, Doha. Who wouldn't say Doha? By the way, if you've never been to that place, seriously. Well, I have for the Chaldean Chamber of Commerce event. No, the basketball. Oh, okay. When I go eat there, I'll look into the gym. And there's like a bunch of little Joey Namos running around in there playing.

03:01:54 - 03:02:02 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I try not to play anymore because I'm old and my knees are... I've had TV surgeries, and I'm good. I just work out instead and do regular stuff.

03:02:02 - 03:02:11 | Speaker 1:

This is going to be so much fun. So Sunday, 3 o'clock, is the very first home game for the Detroit Amps. Is it on television, too?

03:02:11 - 03:02:15 | Speaker 2:

It is on CBS. So every week is on CBS. Is it live on CBS? Oh, yeah.

03:02:15 - 03:02:19 | Speaker 1:

So those games are live. I always thought those were taped or something like that. I mean, no, no.

03:02:19 - 03:02:27 | Speaker 2:

They're live, man. Everything's going on. It's actually a legit deal. This is a pro team. These guys are getting paid. We're selling out places.

03:02:27 - 03:02:31 | Speaker 1:

is it's it's legit i was watching and i heard must be a sponsor because there's i heard logos

03:02:31 - 03:02:45 | Speaker 2:

all over the place we are sponsor of the league um game above is the other sponsor on the patch up there as well so we're kind of all over the place we have our own commercial we just randomly made last week and that's cool on tv all the time so buddy this is great this is fun

03:02:45 - 03:02:49 | Speaker 1:

congrats to you thank you thank you when you and tj came in which by the way t i can't believe

03:02:49 - 03:02:52 | Speaker 2:

i think he's just being lazy he texted me already this morning he's up i mean i know he's up you

03:02:52 - 03:02:56 | Speaker 1:

know what he's doing he's playing golf right now i don't know we're playing i'm playing at the

03:02:56 - 03:03:00 | Speaker 2:

Invitational tomorrow, at Orchard tomorrow, actually, yeah. Are you in the blue coat with him? Yeah, I'm playing blue coat with Jeff Capernagro.

03:03:00 - 03:03:38 | Speaker 1:

Can I say something real quick about TJ Lang? He used to, back in the day, be this awful golfer. And now he's a good golfer. He took lessons and stuff. He took lessons. Now he won't play with guys like me anymore. He mentioned that yesterday. I'm a 23 handicap, and he only plays with guys like Scotty Jonah, you know. These guys are 5.3. I couldn't believe that. Is that good? Because I don't know what the hell you're talking about. So the lower you're, the lower, like if you're a scratch golfer. Okay, that's why negatives aren't always the winners. And those are the good guys. Yes. Okay, gotcha. TJ used to be one of the guys. Now he's no longer one of the guys. He just sits there. He won't hang with that all the rest of us. He'll text me right now, TJ. What's wrong with that?

03:03:38 - 03:03:40 | Speaker 2:

He knows what we're talking about. You've got to elevate.

03:03:40 - 03:03:44 | Speaker 1:

If I was Mike Mileni, he would. He'd be hanging out with me, but, you know.

03:03:44 - 03:03:49 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, we're playing three days straight, so I don't think he's playing today. But maybe, I think he's just being lazy. The truth.

03:03:49 - 03:04:39 | Speaker 1:

His wife is the only one that's nice enough to say hi to me. Laura's the best, man. The best, best girl. No, they're great as kids, too. Seriously. And then there's TJ. TJ, do you know in his locker? So our lockers are right next to each other at the golf course. In his locker, he has, I don't even know if I should say this. He's got, like, I think he keeps his own, like, drinks in there or something. Like, he'll go buy a bunch of these, like, I don't know what they are. They're, like, in the can things. And he'll sit there, and then he'll put them in his locker. And I'll look in his locker sometimes. He's got size feet like this. So I trip over his shoes going in my locker all the time. But he was sitting there the other day, and he's like pounding drinks. And he's like, I can't have another. All right, I'll have another. One more, one more, one more. It's a secret sauce. Look, I'm on the Born in Detroit site looking at the Amplifiers basketball merchandise. Is it good? I got some fire stuff on here, man.

03:04:39 - 03:04:42 | Speaker 2:

I got Mad Men shirts, our best seller. Hoodies, T-shirts.

03:04:42 - 03:04:44 | Speaker 1:

I like the shooting T-shirt. Our stuff is legit.

03:04:44 - 03:04:59 | Speaker 2:

Our stuff is designed by Sky, who's Keith's son, but he's one of the partners of us. And he just, he's so talented, made all the merch himself, like all the designs, everything. He's, he's got his own line called Relic. It's a really badass line of clothing as well.

03:05:00 - 03:05:07 | Speaker 3:

Have they ever talked about, because I know with the WNBA being as big as it is, have they ever talked about signing a female to one of the teams?

03:05:07 - 03:05:19 | Speaker 4:

Last year, before she was drafted, Kaitlin Clark, Cube went on air and offered her $5 million to come. I mean, normally she probably would have, but she had that Nike deal for $20, so she was probably doing okay.

03:05:19 - 03:05:20 | Speaker 1:

What's she make at the Fever?

03:05:21 - 03:05:26 | Speaker 4:

Like $78,000. Yeah, rookie minimum. Isn't that crazy? That's what the women make. They make $78,000. It's nuts.

03:05:26 - 03:05:28 | Speaker 2:

A lot of them have to play overseas year-round.

03:05:28 - 03:05:33 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's why I remember Brittany Griner. She was playing overseas in Russia. They have to play overseas to make money.

03:05:34 - 03:05:36 | Speaker 2:

I didn't realize it was that. It's getting better now.

03:05:36 - 03:05:55 | Speaker 4:

It's getting better. She got them on the private jets or on the team planes now. She's the Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, of the women's basketball. In what way? She helped the league step up. Just put the face of the league, right? She put them on the mat, I think, right? He still thinks that.

03:05:56 - 03:05:59 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to tell you what. He thinks the girl from the sky is better.

03:05:59 - 03:06:10 | Speaker 2:

I just want to say she brought a lot more eyes, but we're not going to act like there weren't a lot of women that were incredibly gifted, incredibly talented. No, no question is yes. No question is yes. I just want to make sure that story is also being told.

03:06:12 - 03:06:13 | Speaker 4:

I hit a touch point, man.

03:06:13 - 03:06:17 | Speaker 2:

That's because he always tried to act like it's a battle and it ain't, though. Which one are you?

03:06:17 - 03:06:21 | Speaker 4:

There's not even a question. Michael. Michael all day every day. All day, every day.

03:06:21 - 03:06:23 | Speaker 2:

Y'all only want to talk about the six championships.

03:06:23 - 03:06:30 | Speaker 3:

He played 15 years. That's why these guys didn't hire you. The Detroit Amps hired me. I'm the in-stadium announcer. Did you know that?

03:06:30 - 03:06:32 | Speaker 2:

Well, I guess now I've got to go.

03:06:32 - 03:06:36 | Speaker 3:

That's my new side hustle. I'm the in-stadium announcer for the Detroit Amps. Good luck, Anthony.

03:06:38 - 03:06:40 | Speaker 4:

Basically, we don't pay him. He just gets free Jimmy Giles. I just come. I just hang out.

03:06:41 - 03:06:49 | Speaker 3:

He gets a free lettuce wrap. No, no, no. If you can get TJ just to hang out and play a round of golf with me, that would actually be my opinion.

03:06:49 - 03:06:50 | Speaker 4:

You show up tomorrow. We'll tell Frank.

03:06:50 - 03:06:51 | Speaker 3:

He won't do it.

03:06:51 - 03:06:52 | Speaker 4:

His partner, Frank Zombo, tell him, hey, see ya.

03:06:53 - 03:06:54 | Speaker 3:

I'm not a good enough golfer.

03:06:54 - 03:06:56 | Speaker 2:

I know, Frank. Frank, he works with my husband.

03:06:56 - 03:07:04 | Speaker 3:

Do you know how much I feel like the kid that never got chosen on the team anymore? I'm sorry. Because a TJ won't play with me anymore. I'll let him know about him. All right.

03:07:04 - 03:07:05 | Speaker 2:

I'm on my bone, TJ.

03:07:05 - 03:07:13 | Speaker 3:

All right. Anthony Tomey, the greatest guy in the world, born in Detroit, Detroit Amps. I mean, you own the world.

03:07:19 - 03:07:32 | Speaker 4:

I take a lot of pride in the city and what we do here and giving back. I'm actually building a new Jimmy John's in Corktown here right now. Are you really? Yeah, right down where Chase Bank is, right in the corner of Michigan and Trumbull, the old Tiger Stadium. Yeah. We're building Corktown right now.

03:07:32 - 03:07:35 | Speaker 3:

Will they be freaky fast to us here at the studios? That's what the ladies tell me. Will that be the one?

03:07:35 - 03:07:36 | Speaker 4:

I don't know, but yeah.

03:07:36 - 03:07:39 | Speaker 3:

Is that the one that we would order from then if we were in order?

03:07:39 - 03:07:41 | Speaker 4:

Yes, I believe so, yeah. Okay, perfect.

03:07:42 - 03:07:47 | Speaker 3:

All right, we'll be back. He has the most beautiful family, too. You ever see this guy's family?

03:08:34 - 03:08:47 | Speaker 3:

Why are you not getting a call back after you went on a date? Owen went on a date. Owen, what did you do for the date? Where did you guys go? We met at a bar. Okay. So took her out to a bar. You guys had a good time?

03:08:48 - 03:08:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, we got some drinks and then No, we went to my work afterwards, actually.

03:08:52 - 03:08:54 | Speaker 3:

What do you do? What kind of work do you do?

03:08:55 - 03:08:57 | Speaker 2:

I'm a DJ at a club.

03:08:57 - 03:09:21 | Speaker 3:

03:09:21 - 03:09:25 | Speaker 1:

Maybe, because I feel like it's a flex. Yeah, it's a flex. You probably get free drinks at the clubs that you work at.

03:09:25 - 03:09:28 | Speaker 2:

And you feel kind of special, maybe.

03:09:28 - 03:09:39 | Speaker 3:

Like, guys like Calvin Harris and those guys, when they're DJing, do you think that they, like, did Calvin have Taylor in the booth with him when he was doing his DJing and stuff? I'm sure she was in there. Yeah.

03:09:39 - 03:09:40 | Speaker 2:

You don't think so? Maybe.

03:09:40 - 03:09:49 | Speaker 3:

That's a good move. Oh, and I like that move. Let's see what is up for Kaylee. You gotta use it. Why are you not calling back Kaylee? Kaylee, say hi to Owen.

03:09:50 - 03:09:56 | Speaker 2:

Hi. Hey. How's it going?

03:09:57 - 03:09:58 | Speaker 1:

I'm good.

03:10:00 - 03:10:08 | Speaker 4:

Kaylee, what's the story? So why are you not calling Owen back? Seems like a nice guy. Did you not have fun on the date?

03:10:09 - 03:10:16 | Speaker 7:

No, I had fun on the date. It was just kind of the second half of the date I wasn't super jazzed about.

03:10:16 - 03:10:18 | Speaker 4:

What was the second half of the date? The club part?

03:10:20 - 03:10:30 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I don't know. I just, he just wasn't super upfront about what we were doing. And so I, I don't know, just not really interested in that anymore.

03:10:32 - 03:11:00 | Speaker 4:

Let's talk about this real quick. I want to, so you guys go out and then he says, Hey, I got to go to work. Or was that part of the plan, Owen, that you were going to bring her there? I mean, I kind of surprised her. So your surprise was, Hey, I'm going to go DJ. I'm going to do, how long is a work, a set or a job for you? about four hours so you wait a second you're bringing her out to a bar and then you're

03:11:00 - 03:11:13 | Speaker 1:

going to take her to a four-hour work event yeah but like i got her vip i got her drinks like she should have been having a good time i thought where were you at during this kaylee

03:11:13 - 03:11:52 | Speaker 7:

where were you sitting or where are you hanging so he did not tell me that he was going to go work um he basically was like we're just gonna go to this club afterwards and i'm not really like a club person but you know yeah i was thinking like okay yeah i'll be fine like we've he's got us a private booth like whatever um and then when i showed up i found out that he was the dj and i was gonna be sitting there alone so i had no friends i was just sitting there and a couple of times during the set like he came up and was like how's it going and you know he was my ride What was I supposed to say? I would have gotten an Uber. It was my ride.

03:11:52 - 03:12:00 | Speaker 2:

I would have gotten an Uber home. I would have stayed for maybe, you know, I don't know, a little bit of time and then gone home. Four hours?

03:12:00 - 03:12:01 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, you didn't even get paid.

03:12:01 - 03:12:13 | Speaker 2:

And you didn't even know? But she got drinks. And had nobody there to have fun with? She had drinks. You're by yourself. Yeah, but you didn't. With somebody that you just met and you didn't know that that's how your night was going to end? No way. I get the drinks thing.

03:12:13 - 03:12:23 | Speaker 5:

I get the VIP thing. But on that last point that Shannon was making, I didn't sign up for this. And who's to say I wanted to be in a club for four hours with nobody that, you know, that's crazy.

03:12:23 - 03:12:48 | Speaker 4:

Can I tell you, though, that if I and this is, you know, from somebody that I would bring girls back to the radio station when I would do air shifts and I would have them hang out with me. I always felt like there was something about them watching me do my show that made them more attracted to me. And I don't know if that's an Owen thing, like watching him do his DJing. Oh, and does that usually help when you're?

03:12:49 - 03:12:58 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I thought it would be fun. And, you know, like I paid for all the drinks. You know, she got VIP. People pay money for that. I mean, I don't know what the big deal is.

03:12:59 - 03:13:23 | Speaker 4:

That's bottle service, right? That's what you got? The sparklers. Yeah. I don't think that you should probably not say what your plan is, though. I think you should say to her, do you want to come back with me and I'm going to DJ? or maybe give her a chance to bring a friend or two with and then at least Kaylee could have some fun. Not a good call.

03:13:24 - 03:13:31 | Speaker 7:

If I had my friend with me, I feel like it would have been much nicer, but I also didn't really want to be there for four hours too.

03:13:31 - 03:13:33 | Speaker 5:

That's the part right there.

03:13:33 - 03:13:40 | Speaker 2:

Even if I had a friend with me, I still did not anticipate that being a part of a date. A first date.

03:13:40 - 03:13:43 | Speaker 4:

At least give her the option. And Chelsea wants to comment. What's up, Chelsea?

03:13:45 - 03:14:00 | Speaker 6:

Hey, guys. It definitely feels like a compatibility issue. Like, if he's a DJ and you're not a club person, like, he's going to constantly have these events. And it sounds like he wants to bring you along. And it just doesn't seem like the right fit. Either way, though, he should have gave you a heads up.

03:14:01 - 03:14:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's not a good call. I don't know. I think that would be a bad one. Hold on. Funeral Home Tom is on the phone with us right now. Tom, have you ever brought the ladies back to the morgue? Did you ever bring them back to the lodge?

03:14:15 - 03:14:30 | Speaker 3:

No, although women are very interested in the mortuary science field, believe it or not. Really? But I have a team. Yes. They like to. More interested in a lot of people. More women are becoming licensed funeral directors.

03:14:30 - 03:14:40 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Shannon, let me ask you this. What would you rather date? Owen the DJ? DJ Owen? or Tom, the funeral home director? Which one would be your...

03:14:40 - 03:14:50 | Speaker 2:

Honestly, the funeral home director because I wouldn't have to worry about him. I know where he is and who he's with all the time and there's very little interaction with anybody I need to worry about.

03:14:50 - 03:14:52 | Speaker 4:

You never know. Tom, what were you calling to say?

03:14:54 - 03:15:02 | Speaker 3:

So what kind of club did he take her to? Was it just a regular bar? Was it a strip club? Wait. What, Kaylee, was it a strip club or a club club?

03:15:03 - 03:15:10 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no, no, no. It wasn't a strip club. I would have hightailed it. I wouldn't even have played nice if it was a strip club.

03:15:10 - 03:15:10 | Unknown:

Yeah.

03:15:10 - 03:15:12 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Madison, what's going on?

03:15:12 - 03:15:39 | Speaker 4:

It's like regular dance club. Hi, Madison. Hi, I just wanted to tell Owen, or I guess to Owen, that it kind of rubbed me the wrong way when you said, I got her all the drinks, I paid for everything. That's pretty entitled. Like, you can't just pay your way into dating someone and then leave them there and expect them to still be into you. I just think it's really weird that you just left her in a club and, you know, said hi. But that was it.

03:15:40 - 03:15:40 | Unknown:

Yeah.

03:15:41 - 03:15:47 | Speaker 3:

No, it's probably not a good idea, Owen. Shannon's shaking her head. I don't think you're going to get a date from her.

03:15:47 - 03:15:54 | Speaker 2:
