All right, are you ready?

00:02:35 - 00:02:37 | Speaker 5:

You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

00:02:37 - 00:02:38 | Speaker 9:

You're a doo-doo hat.

00:02:42 - 00:02:44 | Unknown:

It's showtime.

00:02:44 - 00:03:37 | Speaker 9:

It's Mojo in the Morning, man. Walking outside is not great right now. Uh, matter of fact, uh, the craziest was last night I was watching some of the stuff that people were posting and, uh, I saw people up in, uh, Mackinac posting what looks like it could have been the Mackinac bridge, but it wasn't. I mean, it was completely covered. And then I thought to myself, okay, well, I guess it's going to be coming this way. It came fast because downtown Detroit, you couldn't, you can't see the Rensen, uh, you can't see uh the hudson's building i mean you see what is just lights worse than probably not being able to see it in the the haze compared to like it seems like what the last five summers we have had this happen the smell is so pungent it does feel like you're hanging out at a friend's bonfire

00:03:37 - 00:03:55 | Speaker 6:

you know it's nasty work bro for me it really started moving last night like last night kind the evening is when i really started to taste it and i don't anna not anna shannon i don't know if you're more susceptible to the experience as i am with asthma but it's like immediately it becomes

00:03:55 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 4:

like it's burning my my i said when i walked in my my lungs feel like they're on fire it's so weird and i take medication every day for asthma and stuff so you'd think i'd be like good but i said to you mojo i'm like is this in my head but no like it actually it's definitely worse i feel

00:04:13 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 9:

like in the city than it was when i left my home out in the suburbs it uh it feels like it's it's thicker here um one of the things i want to do throw out to to the listener um especially if you're somebody because i can hear i can hear kevin's you're i can hear it like wheezing i can hear a little bit congestion yeah my hair is really affecting turn in your car turn your air conditioning recycler so that it's not pulling from the outside because if you have your air conditioning on normal it's just pulling air from the outside and cooling it it's like the little

00:04:48 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 4:

arrow that like goes all the way in a circle with your car that was on yesterday and i turned it off no you're supposed to you're really supposed to have that all the time i know usually i don't

00:04:58 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

well usually

00:05:00 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 2:

don't like it because it doesn't cool as as much or fast but uh definitely if you guys are that way somebody needs to explain to me a couple of things somebody needs to explain to me what is uh what's up with every summer we got to deal with this and it's usually coming from canada and then we hear these stories which i think are kind of crazy that they they don't really like put their wildfires out or something? I mean, is that the case? Where are my Windsor friends at? Where are you guys? But there was some kind of a thing where they said that they don't fight the fires or something like that. I don't know. Yeah. And then every summer we end up getting the smoke billowing here, which this one's going to end up affecting a lot of people because it's not just going to be something that we're going to have to deal with. I think that this thing's going to be moving all across the whole East Coast.

00:05:56 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 1:

They said it's going to be around for us until at least tomorrow morning. So like all day today and night.

00:06:02 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 2:

I just heard a report, and I'm going to save it for you for you're dirty, but I just heard a report that I got you audio from that had a guy saying it will be here until it snows. No, we're not aware. The fires will be here.

00:06:17 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 3:

I know you don't like South Park, but that's the song you should be playing. Blame Canada.

00:06:26 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 2:

Blame Canada. There you go. But every summer, I feel like we deal with this, don't you?

00:06:33 - 00:06:46 | Speaker 3:

We do. This summer in particular, and it's only been less than 24 hours that I've experienced. I feel like this is the worst it's been. This doesn't compare. Last year, I feel like it was like, it's okay. It's smart. Today is definitely the worst. Yeah.

00:06:46 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:06:47 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 3:

And there's like this, it's almost like a sepia Instagram filter tent. Yes. It was like God swiped left before posting the picture. It's like this orange-amber burning sensation.

00:06:59 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 1:

And everything's just a little fuzzy. It's very lo-fi to me.

00:07:01 - 00:07:07 | Speaker 2:

Hey, call us in Grand Rapids and Toledo if you guys are starting to get it now, too. And our New York listeners.

00:07:08 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's bad. We got listeners in New York. They said the whole tri-state is kind of affected by it.

00:07:12 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 2:

Oh, because it's coming down from Buffalo area, right? Yeah. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, or the text is 95500. Shout us out and tell us how it is, where you are, and give us just a little report of where this smokiness is going. You know what today is going to be? Today is going to be probably going to a movie theater or something like that or a mall like the last couple of days with the heat, but just staying inside, not trying to be outside. because the people, I wouldn't go for walks this morning or this afternoon.

00:07:48 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 3:

When I was driving home yesterday, I saw ladies outside with, like, I don't know if they did yoga in the park, but there was a bunch of people with, like, yoga mats. There was a concert at the Aretha, formerly Shane Park. I'm like, how the hell is Kelly Price sitting on stage right now?

00:08:01 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 1:

I know the kids have practice for, like, swim and tennis today. I wonder if it'll get canceled, especially tennis. Swim, okay, but tennis in the afternoon? I don't know.

00:08:10 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 2:

Hold on. Travis is on the west side of the state. Where are you at, Travis? So I'm in Holland, but I work in Grand Haven, and just between the two, it's terrible. Okay, so you guys are getting it affected, too. Okay, yeah, this is covering everybody.

00:08:26 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 3:

What are you doing, Travis? Do you work outside? So I work for a roofing company. Yeah, so you elevated with the smoke.

00:08:33 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 2:

Will you be outside today, or will you guys try to limit your time? I'm outside every day, but I don't work on the actual roof. It's nice being higher up in the company. Nice talking to you, buddy. Take care. Man, I just opened up a picture from somebody online. Honestly, it looks like a yellow haze of what it was like last night as the sun was going down. Nikki, what's going on? Where are you?

00:09:13 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 4:

I live in Perrysburg, and I work in Bowling Green, so just out of Toledo. What's it like there? Holy smoke. I've never seen anything like it. Never seen anything like it in my life, ever.

00:09:30 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's nuts.

00:09:31 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 4:

I brought my inhaler to work today. I'm not going to be able to let the dogs run around outside. It's not safe for them either.

00:09:39 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. No, it is nasty. Nikki, please do us a favor and just stay, you know, safe, okay?

00:09:48 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely. You, too. Love you, guys. Love you back. We love you, too.

00:09:53 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 2:

00:09:58 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

00:10:58 - 00:11:00 | Speaker 2:

Well, you be safe out there, Ken.

00:11:01 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 1:

Yes, sir. You guys have a good day. Everyone be safe. Don't breathe the air. I'm about to bring my COVID mask back out. That's what my grandma told me to do.

00:11:09 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 2:

In New York, they're handing them out.

00:11:11 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 1:

Really?

00:11:11 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, New York City, they actually are on the streets handing them out right now because of that.

00:11:17 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 1:

Smart, man.

00:11:18 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 2:

Hold on a second here. Let's go to, which one should I go to next here? Let's go to Teresa in GR. What's going on, Teresa? Hello?

00:11:28 - 00:11:29 | Speaker 1:

Good morning.

00:11:29 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 2:

Good morning, Teresa. How are we doing in beautiful West Michigan?

00:11:34 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 1:

It's pretty hazy over here. Almost looks like nightfall.

00:11:38 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 2:

It does, doesn't it? At this time of the morning, usually it's beautiful. It's glorious. The sun is coming up. It looks like we're going to have a storm or something. It does. It's insane. It is Gotham. Where's Batman at a time like this? We wouldn't even be able to see the symbol in the sky. I know. We would all be in trouble. Well, you be careful, Teresa. What do you do?

00:12:04 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 3:

I'm a door dasher. I'm dashing.

00:12:06 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. All right. Are you going to make people come to your car, or are you going to bring it out to their porch?

00:12:12 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 1:

I'll bring it to them.

00:12:13 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 2:

You're a good lady. Thank you. I appreciate you.

00:12:15 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. First time, long time. Teresa! You got it.

00:12:20 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 2:

We love you, Teresa. Take care of yourself.

00:12:23 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 1:

Love you guys. Have a great day.

00:12:24 - 00:12:29 | Speaker 2:

All right. Appreciate you so much. Did y'all see that Door Dasher get hit by a car? Oh, my God.

00:12:29 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 3:

And still deliver.

00:12:30 - 00:13:24 | Speaker 2:

Yes. That was crazy. By the way. She went flying. That was crazy. Can I tell you the viral videos yesterday that were all over were crazy? That was nuts. And then did you see the Blue Angels plane flying over the beach? No. Oh, you got to go see that one. Send it to the chat. I think I did last night. Okay. In Pensacola, Florida, there was Blue Angels flying over, and they were flying way too close. And all of a sudden, you see everybody's tents or beach attire kind of flying in the air, going crazy. It is really nuts. All right. Well, we got to be safe. Let's be safe out there. Please keep the air conditioning on, I guess, in your home. and don't open the windows and make sure that you're, you know, not breathing any of this crap. Damn.

00:13:25 - 00:13:37 | Speaker 3:

Most of the time, the cloud of smoke is in my car. But now this outside smoke is nasty. This is Mojo in the Morning. It's Mojo in the Morning's Back in the Day. Let's go. Back in the day. What year did this stuff enter?

00:13:37 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 2:

All right, this was the year that I thought you're going to have to help me, Anna, with this person's pronunciation.

00:13:45 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 1:

Danielle Bregoli, also known as Bad Baby.

00:13:48 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 2:

Oh, God. Oh, okay.

00:13:50 - 00:13:55 | Speaker 1:

Catch me outside. Yep. Yes. Catch me outside. How about that? Catch you outside?

00:13:56 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 2:

What does that mean? What is she?

00:13:59 - 00:14:01 | Speaker 3:

Like a hella money on all your fans?

00:14:02 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 1:

Oh, really? She had cancer.

00:14:03 - 00:14:06 | Speaker 2:

Oh, wow. Wonder Woman hit theaters.

00:14:07 - 00:14:11 | Speaker 3:

It is our sacred duty to defend the world, and it's what I'm going to do.

00:14:11 - 00:14:17 | Speaker 2:

And Bruno Mars had the big song.

00:14:18 - 00:14:26 | Speaker 3:

Call us and tell us what year that stuff happened. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548.

00:14:27 - 00:14:29 | Speaker 2:

Tara, what year was that?

00:14:31 - 00:14:34 | Speaker 3:

2017. Absolutely. Got it.

00:14:34 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 2:

Congratulations. We got some concert tickets for you Saturday night. Melanie Martinez at Little Caesars. Have a great time. How you doing?

00:14:41 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 3:

Awesome.

00:14:41 - 00:14:45 | Speaker 1:

I'm doing okay.

00:14:45 - 00:14:47 | Speaker 2:

I got a big bump on the side of my head that I can't figure out right now.

00:14:47 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 1:

Oh, dude, I see it.

00:14:49 - 00:14:55 | Speaker 2:

All of a sudden, Bianca, just a second ago, goes, what the hell is that? And when she did that, I thought she was just messing with me.

00:14:56 - 00:14:56 | Speaker 1:

So did I.

00:14:56 - 00:15:04 | Speaker 2:

Next thing I know, she was going to show me some AI photo of... small family on my head, but I got like this bump that's

00:15:04 - 00:15:09 | Speaker 4:

on my head. I don't know. I just do social media.

00:15:09 - 00:15:13 | Speaker 1:

Look the other way. Let me see the other side. The other side.

00:15:14 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 4:

Mojo, that's big. I can see it on the camera. Oh no. But it's soft. What is it? I'm looking it up. What it could be on ChadGBT. It could be a hematoma.

00:15:24 - 00:15:28 | Speaker 2:

Oh Jesus. What does that mean? It does not look like a hematoma. Don't give me a hematoma.

00:15:28 - 00:15:34 | Speaker 4:

Don't scare him. Does that mean i'm gonna die no i think it looks um it's just like blood underneath a huge okay that sounds

00:15:34 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 2:

bad bianca yeah well no it's just okay it's just blood underneath the scalp hold hold on i'm gonna i'm gonna ask him poke a hole in it see what comes out who has a needle uh what is wrong with my face i'm gonna use uh claude now uh is our winner still on the phone what do you think

00:15:53 - 00:16:00 | Speaker 1:

it is honestly i use chat for everything to diagnose lately i'm gonna figure out what this

00:16:00 - 00:16:29 | Speaker 2:

is here and if it is a all right if it is a hematoma we're ending the show he's going to the hospital hematoma in this thing you know then yeah i think i got uh i think i might have gotten bit by something uh it says it says it says a bruise or contusion a small superficial blood vessel has bled under your skin, I don't see an obvious rash, blistering, or signs of infection

00:16:29 - 00:16:34 | Speaker 4:

in this image. I don't think it's like a big hive, like a bug bite. A minor, a few possibilities

00:16:34 - 00:17:09 | Speaker 2:

could be a minor bruise from bumping your head, which I didn't bump my head. A small rupture blood vessel, which can happen spontaneously if you're taking aspirin or blood thinners, such. I do take aspirin and a blood thinner. A small vein or hematoma. Is it painful? Is it discolored? Did somebody make fun of you at work named Bianca and try to make you feel like you're going to die? Oh, no, that wasn't in there. What does it say I should do? It says, put a cold ice pack on there. Do we have any ice packs for 15 minutes? And if the swelling goes down, you're

00:17:09 - 00:17:14 | Speaker 1:

okay. All right, babe. You got to have a first aid kit around here somewhere. Wait, no, do you want

00:17:14 - 00:17:15 | Speaker 4:

Are you going to get you some ice cubes in the freezer?

00:17:16 - 00:17:18 | Speaker 2:

If there is any kind of thing. Get the peas.

00:17:19 - 00:17:21 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to wrap it in like some plastic wrap. Is that cool?

00:17:21 - 00:17:33 | Speaker 2:

By the way, when I got a vasectomy, the best was I would put the peas on my privates, and then I told Chelsea we had to serve peas that night, but not from my peas, just so that the boys had to eat those. What's going on, Ashley? Hi.

00:17:35 - 00:17:40 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Mojo. First of all, didn't your mom ever tell you not to Google your symptoms on WebMD?

00:17:41 - 00:17:44 | Speaker 2:

You know what? Honestly, no. She died before Google came available.

00:17:44 - 00:17:47 | Speaker 4:

And chat GPT clawed, different ballgame.

00:17:47 - 00:17:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think WebMDs and, you know, that stuff were bad news for you because all they did was give you anxiety.

00:17:53 - 00:17:56 | Speaker 3:

I feel like the AI stuff's better.

00:17:57 - 00:17:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:17:57 - 00:18:00 | Speaker 3:

So, most likely you have a cyst.

00:18:01 - 00:18:05 | Speaker 1:

That is my favorite thing in the world. That's why I say let's poke a hole in it.

00:18:06 - 00:18:09 | Speaker 3:

It's not that firm, though. It's literally super, super soft.

00:18:09 - 00:18:09 | Speaker 1:

I love cysts.

00:18:09 - 00:18:10 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't know.

00:18:11 - 00:18:15 | Speaker 3:

So there's a couple kinds of cysts. Some are hard. Some are more pliable.

00:18:16 - 00:18:17 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Are you in the medical field?

00:18:18 - 00:18:27 | Speaker 3:

So I'm a caregiver, but I took, like, medical terminology and a couple other med classes in college. So I know a little bit about it.

00:18:27 - 00:18:37 | Speaker 1:

Are we on the live stream? Yes. Okay. So go to YouTube, Twitch, Christian Singles Meet, wherever we stream. So you can see it and see if it's a cyst.

00:18:37 - 00:18:44 | Speaker 2:

I think it's from the air quality. I think I'm. It's a Canada bug. It's a Canada bug, exactly. Hold on, Madison, what did you want to say?

00:18:46 - 00:18:53 | Speaker 3:

Mojo, a hematoma is just a fancy word for a bruise, so if it is that, you are totally fine. It's not a bruise.

00:18:53 - 00:19:01 | Speaker 1:

It's not a bruise. It's getting worse. But if it says it is? I feel like it's getting more defined. Let me see. And it's red. It's definitely more red.

00:19:01 - 00:19:02 | Speaker 2:

Well, I'm touching it. I've been touching it.

00:19:02 - 00:19:03 | Speaker 1:

I was going to say, it's more red.

00:19:03 - 00:19:07 | Speaker 2:

Don't touch it. Anybody have a Benadryl or anything?

00:19:07 - 00:19:08 | Unknown:

I do.

00:19:08 - 00:19:13 | Speaker 2:

I got EpiPath. Bianca's got you. You got an EpiPen? Can I take an EpiPen? I'm not Epi for that. All right, here we go.

00:19:14 - 00:19:14 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

00:19:15 - 00:19:18 | Speaker 2:

By the way, it does itch, by the way. It's got an itchiness to it.

00:19:18 - 00:19:22 | Speaker 4:

You probably got bitten by something, and you're having a reaction to it. Do you have something we can tie that around your ears?

00:19:22 - 00:19:22 | Speaker 2:

No, hold on.

00:19:22 - 00:19:28 | Speaker 1:

I look like somebody punched me in the head. We're in the middle of the second round right now. I don't care.

00:19:31 - 00:20:00 | Speaker 2:

Hold on. I'm going to tie this to your head. It's too cold, though. I need something to put in between it. All right, let me get it. now i look now i look like i i'm gonna do karate all right hold on hold on a second let me get you morgan morgan wallen tickets uh text to win text want if you would like tickets w-a-n-t if you like tickets to see morgan

00:20:00 - 00:20:21 | Speaker 5:

Morgan Wallen at the big house in a week text nine five five zero zero. That's nine five five zero zero. The word want to see Morgan Wallen. Mojo in your mornings. Dirty on the 30. I got to change that because it's so cold. It's like giving me a frostbite. Okay. What's going on in the dirty shit?

00:20:21 - 00:21:07 | Speaker 3:

Well, Argentina is headed back to the FIFA World Cup final after pulling off a comeback against England yesterday. Lionel Messi and company scoring in the 85th and 92nd minute to end the day with a dramatic 2-1 victory. So, Argentina now facing Spain in Sunday's final in New Jersey. As for England, they head to Miami to play France in Saturday's third place match. By the way, yesterday, and maybe this was known information, but I feel like I just found out about it. FIBA announcing Post Malone will be among the headliners at the closing ceremony on Sunday. So he joins Nicole Scherzinger, Robbie Williams, Jennifer Hudson singing the National Anthem, and then Tom Cruise and iShowSpeed going to participate somehow, someway as well.

00:21:07 - 00:21:39 | Speaker 4:

Do we want a repeat, a rematch? I think that would be cool. Can I tell you something that really cool is a part of this whole thing? Because I love storylines. So in December 2007, a Barcelona newspaper ran a charity raffle to pick a local baby for a UNICEF calendar shoot. The winning family brought their five-month-old son, and Messi had to bathe him as a part of the calendar shoot. That baby was Lamine Yamal. Isn't that wild? That 19-year-old kid, right? He's the 19-year-old kid from Spain.

00:21:39 - 00:21:40 | Speaker 3:

You're lying.

00:21:40 - 00:21:42 | Speaker 4:

That is like the new Messi kind of.

00:21:42 - 00:21:47 | Speaker 3:

Wait, that is an insane story. He, like, baptized him in his calendar.

00:21:47 - 00:21:52 | Speaker 5:

Can I say something real quick? Isn't that weird, though, that you're letting, like, some...

00:21:52 - 00:21:56 | Speaker 3:

Yes. That's why I made that face. That you had to be in somebody else's kid.

00:21:56 - 00:22:06 | Speaker 5:

I'm not letting some strange person touch my child. I don't care if they're famous or not, or some great soccer person. Really? Like, I would rather have them kick the ball in the yard.

00:22:06 - 00:22:24 | Speaker 4:

Tom Brady could touch Luke? So, was Michael Jordan... That's a little different in the 90s. You would. I don't think my mom... You wouldn't let Taylor Swift, babe, like Lucy, if she was like a little baby at the time, Like a calendar shoot? He didn't really bathe him. Yeah, he did bathe him because his hands are very soft.

00:22:24 - 00:22:31 | Speaker 5:

Do we know if this night, what's the guy's name again from Spain? Lamine Yamal. Did he know anything about Epstein at all? Oh, my God.

00:22:32 - 00:22:38 | Speaker 3:

Bryce and Trinity, this season's Love Island winner, is giving fans an update on how they are doing following the finale.

00:22:38 - 00:22:54 | Speaker 1:

We were just in Fiji, like, less than 20 hours ago. So, like, coming back in, it's just, like, you know, 50 days without our phones, without any, like, access to the outside world. It's been, like, unreal to see, like, everyone's responses. And, like, I don't know, it's a little overwhelming, to be honest. Yes, very overwhelming.

00:22:54 - 00:22:56 | Speaker 3:

And also, what is next for them?

00:22:57 - 00:23:12 | Speaker 2:

Definitely want to kind of explore L.A. more and see how I like it. But Virginians, they're not seeing me for too long. I'm not going to be there for too long. But I definitely want to be wherever Bryce is, that's for sure.

00:23:12 - 00:23:35 | Speaker 3:

Where is LeBron James going to go? There are lots of options with the Cavs and Golden State among the top guesses. The Miami Heat and the Philadelphia 76ers, also potential landing spots. Yesterday, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was driving. He was like in his car. He rolled down the window to talk to some fans. And during that conversation, he said this.

00:23:36 - 00:23:36 | Unknown:

How are you guys doing?

00:23:37 - 00:23:40 | Speaker 3:

Good. Hey, we need to get LeBron, man. Don't we need LeBron.

00:23:40 - 00:23:41 | Speaker 4:

LeBron.

00:23:41 - 00:23:42 | Unknown:

Oh, we got him.

00:23:42 - 00:23:48 | Speaker 4:

Okay, that's good. Put that on Twitter. Oh, we got him.

00:23:48 - 00:23:51 | Speaker 3:

Put that on Twitter. Do we think he was joking or do we think he was serious?

00:23:52 - 00:23:54 | Speaker 4:

What's his name, though? The coach?

00:23:54 - 00:23:57 | Speaker 3:

Did I say it wrong? Steve Kerr? Oh, you said it right.

00:23:57 - 00:24:49 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, no, you said it was a little different. But I thought that Golden State was out of this thing once it was said that they couldn't get any trades to work out. Anthony Davis. I don't know. I think that that's a good landing spot for him, Golden State. I still think that it would be storybook to see him go to Cleveland. Yeah, I think that's next year. Do we think that LeBron, though, needs to just make the decision and not make this thing so drawn out? The whole idea that they were making teams send voice notes to LeBron to tell them how much they wanted him, Rich Paul said it during an interview, his agent, to me just seems so egotistical, Kev. Who made them do it? Rich Paul told the teams to have your front office people and coaches send voice notes to him, and then he would send them to LeBron.

00:24:50 - 00:24:51 | Speaker 3:

Is that actually going to move the needle?

00:24:51 - 00:25:00 | Speaker 5:

LeBron could see how much he wanted them. Doesn't LeBron just talk to some of these people? I don't know that to be true. I can't comment, but he doesn't have to.

00:25:00 - 00:25:15 | Speaker 4:

to make a decision anytime soon as a free agent he has the ability to not sign even this year he could wait until all-star break to pick a team so would he do something like that this could be a story for as long as we wanted to be where he wants it to be all right and lastly a guy from

00:25:15 - 00:26:05 | Speaker 5:

kansas city somehow got trapped under the seat of a porta potty like in the giant tub where the poop and pee is in there stuck to the point that he needed firefighters to saw a hole in the thing to get out the kansas city fire department had to use an electric saw to slice through the plastic to free this guy careful not to cut too low because if they did all of the contents of the port-a-potty would spill out into the street so they did it why he was in there i have no idea but the best part so the the firefighters pull him out and then they have to they had to hose him down with the fire hose next to the truck because he was covered in the the firefighters were not happy with him they're like why was it a dare what what were you doing that's crazy the video

00:26:05 - 00:26:14 | Speaker 3:

lydia sent it to us yesterday i watched it like four times just because the firefighters were like get your arms up like they're yelling at him to to get out of there because he's such an idiot and

00:29:44 - 00:29:46 | Speaker 3:

Zero. Zero.

00:29:46 - 00:29:49 | Speaker 4:

I don't watch TMZ that much. I got to keep up.

00:29:49 - 00:29:55 | Speaker 5:

I got to listen to Shannon's dad. I was going to say, I don't get any of my questions from TMZ, but.

00:29:55 - 00:29:58 | Speaker 3:

One of the pretty ones always so dumb. Yeah, I know.

00:29:58 - 00:29:59 | Speaker 4:

Right? Right?

00:30:00 - 00:30:22 | Speaker 3:

But some of them, like this question right here, is one anybody could know. But question number one, Crystal, a new $1 coin featuring President Trump's face is currently in production at the U.S. Mint. Here's the question. True or false, President Thomas Jefferson's face is featured on the $100 bill.

00:31:17 - 00:31:17 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:31:18 - 00:31:20 | Speaker 1:

It's okay. It stays one to nothing. You still win.

00:31:20 - 00:31:37 | Speaker 3:

Question number four. R. Kelly is at, see, this makes Tanya feel good. At least she's, you know what I mean? At least you're not getting clobbered here. Question number four. R. Kelly is asking President Trump to commute his 30-year prison sentence. What's R. Kelly's real first name?

00:31:38 - 00:31:42 | Speaker 4:

Is it Robert? Yeah. Robert. Okay.

00:31:42 - 00:31:50 | Speaker 3:

And question number five. Happy birthday to Will Ferrell today. What's the name of the elf that he plays in the movie Elf?

00:31:52 - 00:31:53 | Speaker 4:

Oh, Buddy. Yeah, there you go. Yeah.

00:31:53 - 00:32:16 | Speaker 3:

00:32:20 - 00:32:23 | Speaker 3:

All right, we're going to have to come over and see you, okay?

00:32:23 - 00:32:24 | Speaker 2:

Okay, thank you.

00:32:24 - 00:32:28 | Speaker 3:

All right, thank you. Hang on the phone for just one second and we'll get some information from you.

00:32:28 - 00:32:31 | Speaker 4:

It's Mojo in the morning, 5 at 6.55.

00:32:33 - 00:32:51 | Speaker 5:

WKQI Detroit, WSNX Miss Eden Grand Rapids, WVGS Toledo, and iHeart Radio Station. Guaranteed human. Real people, real stories, real laughs, real smelly, and real dumb sometimes. Mojo in the morning.

00:32:51 - 00:33:45 | Speaker 3:

All right, we got a weather alert that's not weather-related. It's basically air-related. There is a bad bit of air that is not breathable that you've got to be very careful if you're outside. You will smell it before you even see it, but you'll notice that it is very hazy out. And this is from those Canadian fires that have been going on. It's worse than it has been in past summers, so please be careful. Uh, they're saying that over the next 24 to could possibly be 48 hours that we'll be experiencing this. So we'll give you updates on that coming up in a little bit, but try to try to stay indoors if you can. And if you're in your air conditioning in your car, try to make sure that you don't have the outside air coming in on that. So use the recycler on that, the recycling air. Uh, we're going to do war of the roses now.

00:33:45 - 00:33:51 | Speaker 4:

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for war of the roses on Mojo in the morning.

00:33:51 - 00:34:00 | Speaker 3:

Kennedy's husband sent her a text that she is convinced was meant for another woman. What was the text, Kennedy?

00:34:03 - 00:34:22 | Speaker 2:

The text, you know, basically said he could no longer stay over anymore. And then he unsent it. And then he unsent it. And you lived together. He said, sorry, I can't sleep over anymore. And I was like, what? and then he unsent it.

00:34:23 - 00:34:27 | Speaker 1:

Did you text him and say, hey, what was that all about? I saw you send something and unsend it.

00:34:28 - 00:34:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. And he said, oh, you know, that was just a mistake. I was just letting one of my boys know that I couldn't stay at his crib.

00:34:38 - 00:34:41 | Speaker 4:

Has he ever stayed over at a friend's house before?

00:34:43 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 3:

No. And Anna brings up a good point. You guys live together. So it's not like it was a text that was meant for you. Right. And so is he somebody that, like, is he not home a lot or does he sometimes?

00:35:00 - 00:35:03 | Speaker 4:

not come home? Or does he say he's away for things?

00:35:04 - 00:35:08 | Speaker 1:

He does travel for work. So there

00:35:08 - 00:35:21 | Speaker 4:

is a chance that he is not home and possibly at some other person's house, another woman's place or whatever. Yes. Has he ever cheated on you before?

00:35:24 - 00:35:28 | Speaker 1:

Not that I've ever been able. No, not that I know of.

00:35:28 - 00:35:31 | Speaker 4:

No. Have you ever thought that he was cheating on you before?

00:35:33 - 00:35:41 | Speaker 1:

I've had some spite, you know, moments where I thought something felt off, but no proof. But no proof.

00:35:41 - 00:36:01 | Speaker 4:

Alright, we're going to call him up to see where he's going to send a dozen free roses. I want you to mute your phone and we're going to ask him, you know, our questions and then see where he sends them, okay? So keep your phone on mute. Got it. We're hoping that the flowers go to Kennedy.

00:36:18 - 00:36:21 | Speaker 2:

Hello? Hello. Is this Terrell?

00:36:23 - 00:36:23 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

00:36:24 - 00:36:25 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Terrell. How are you doing today?

00:36:26 - 00:36:27 | Speaker 3:

I'm good. How are you doing?

00:36:27 - 00:36:43 | Speaker 2:

I'm good. My name is Nicole, and I'm calling you from a new online floral company called rosesbloom.com with an offer for some free flowers. If you're interested, I just need you to answer two short survey questions in exchange for a dozen long-stemmed red roses.

00:36:44 - 00:36:46 | Speaker 3:

Okay, is it going to take long?

00:36:47 - 00:36:52 | Speaker 2:

It's literally two yes or no questions, so it's fast. Can I go ahead and ask you the questions?

00:36:54 - 00:36:55 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, sure, let's go.

00:36:55 - 00:36:59 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Have you purchased flowers in the last six months, Terrell?

00:37:02 - 00:37:02 | Speaker 3:

No.

00:37:03 - 00:37:05 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Do you plan on purchasing flowers in the next six months?

00:37:08 - 00:37:09 | Speaker 3:

Probably not.

00:37:09 - 00:37:29 | Speaker 2:

Okay. That's all I needed from you. And as a thank you for participating in that rosesbloom.com survey, I'm now authorized to gift you those dozen long-stemmed red roses. They do go out this afternoon and they can actually go out of state as well. So I just need to get some info from you about who you want them to go to, starting with a first name and a last name.

00:37:32 - 00:37:39 | Speaker 3:

Let's send it to, let's send it to Brittany.

00:37:41 - 00:37:44 | Speaker 2:

Okay. And what is Brittany's phone number?

00:37:48 - 00:37:49 | Speaker 3:

770.

00:37:54 - 00:37:56 | Speaker 2:

Okay. And what's her relationship to you?

00:37:58 - 00:38:13 | Speaker 3:

Relationship? Oh, I mean, you know, I don't, I mean, yeah, we're cool. I don't know. I mean, she's having my daughter. So I mean, whatever you want to, I don't know what you call that, but yeah.

00:38:14 - 00:38:19 | Speaker 2:

Okay. So she's having your baby. Are you guys dating each other? Are you married or?

00:38:21 - 00:38:21 | Speaker 3:

No.

00:38:22 - 00:38:24 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Well, congratulations, by the way.

00:38:25 - 00:38:27 | Speaker 3:

There's more than two questions.

00:38:27 - 00:39:02 | Speaker 2:

Sorry. Well, I mean, it was the two questions for the survey, and now I have to get all the info about who you want these to go to, obviously, Brittany. But we do something unique, Terrell, at rosesbloom.com, and instead of sending a paper card with these roses today for Brittany, I'm going to have you record a voice memo for her, and she'll get a text alerting her she has a delivery. This voice memo will be a part of that, so she'll be able to hit play, hear your message, know who the flowers are from. So I'm going to count you down, and when I do, you can just start talking, whatever it is you want to say to her, and when you stop, the recording will stop. Okay?

00:39:03 - 00:39:04 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:39:05 - 00:39:07 | Speaker 2:

All right, three, two, one.

00:39:11 - 00:39:13 | Speaker 3:

Hey, baby, I hope you enjoy the flowers.

00:39:17 - 00:39:20 | Speaker 2:

Okay. That's all you want to do?

00:39:22 - 00:39:23 | Speaker 3:

That's all I got.

00:39:23 - 00:39:29 | Speaker 2:

Okay. I also have to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes. Are you okay with that?

00:39:30 - 00:39:31 | Speaker 3:

You should let off with that.

00:39:33 - 00:39:34 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Well, are you okay with that?

00:39:37 - 00:39:38 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, whatever. Yeah, that's cool.

00:39:38 - 00:40:10 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Terrell, I'm going to jump on real quick just to wrap this up, and then we're going to send those flowers off. But I got to let you know one last thing, that while we have been talking to you and you've been sending flowers, that your wife Kennedy has been listening and just heard that you are sending them to another woman. And he's gone Kennedy, is this a complete shocker to you?

00:40:13 - 00:40:21 | Speaker 5:

I almost don't have words Do you know that person's name at all? No No

This is the home of War of the Roses. Mojo in the Morning.

00:42:55 - 00:43:09 | Speaker 4:

Kennedy, no response from that number, although we did get somebody to pick up the phone, and it was a female voice, but when we asked for Brittany, she just hung up the phone.

00:43:12 - 00:43:12 | Speaker 1:

Wow.

00:43:13 - 00:44:26 | Speaker 4:

All right, and we're doing a little look right now on social media to see who's the Brittany ****** that we can find, okay? All right. Thanks. All right, hold on one sec. War of the Roses. So the unsent text War of the Roses here. And the interesting thing was the description that he gave of who he was sending the flowers to. And I want to replay that for you because I think that that is pretty telling. Here's Shannon asking him, and what is her relation to you, the woman that he sent the flowers to? Which, by the way, we looked at the area code. The area code that he gave was for somebody that is not in our area. It's an actual Atlanta, Georgia number. So that was one of the things that we had asked Kennedy is, did he have family down in Atlanta? Nothing. No connection. But here's how he described who the person is.

00:44:27 - 00:44:28 | Speaker 1:

And what's her relationship to you?

00:44:30 - 00:44:42 | Speaker 3:

Relationship? Oh, I mean, you know, I don't, I mean, yeah. we're cool i don't i don't know i mean she's having my daughter so i mean whatever you want

00:44:42 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 4:

to i don't know what you call that but yeah not only having his baby but having his daughter he says so he knows exactly what he's having so this is somebody that has been around for a bit um this is a wild one because you know what it turns and and lydia i think that this might

00:45:00 - 00:45:27 | Speaker 1:

be the direction of where people can make comments on this and maybe some relation to this. Anybody ever find out about their spouse cheating and then you find out that there's the baby on the way type thing. And he doesn't he doesn't define her, though, as his girlfriend. And his note that he sent was not very loving either. Like, it wasn't like, you know, it was like, hey, babe, whatever that. But it's not like something like regardless.

00:45:28 - 00:45:30 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I understand. Some infidelity.

00:45:30 - 00:46:23 | Speaker 1:

But it makes me think that maybe this is a one-off, had sex, got her pregnant, somebody. I don't know. Maybe somebody that was in and out of his life. Or somebody that, yeah. But it doesn't sound like he's, he doesn't sound like, although he did send her to the flowers right away and didn't hesitate, it doesn't sound like it's somebody, though, that he's in love with. Yeah. In love with, yeah. Maybe it was just smashing and, you know, slipped up or something. So 844-MOJO-LIVE, our telephone number, your comments on this and what your thoughts are, or the text is 95500. You can also text, call me if you have a good story and you're like, I got to talk to these guys. I want to talk about this and see what you think. The unsent text thing is also an interesting one. I still think Apple needs to change that. I don't know why they have it.

00:46:23 - 00:46:27 | Speaker 4:

I don't either. Why do you need the notification? Do not need it. I hate that.

00:46:27 - 00:46:29 | Speaker 1:

I think they must do it for legal purposes.

00:46:30 - 00:46:43 | Speaker 4:

It has to be. What I know what's crazy is I had that older computer that I was using for a while after my iPad got stolen. And if somebody sent and then unsent a message, I still saw the message, but then it said unsent.

00:46:44 - 00:47:04 | Speaker 1:

It happens on my, on any time, if you're connected to an iPad and your phone with your text messaging or iMessaging, it will do it. So it does it on mine too. So if somebody unsends something to me and I've opened it or I use my text, you know, on my, because I have my text messages right here on my computer.

00:47:05 - 00:47:05 | Speaker 4:

It stays.

00:47:06 - 00:47:07 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. So it doesn't unsend.

00:47:07 - 00:47:10 | Speaker 4:

It doesn't unsend. It's just like for phones, I think.

00:47:10 - 00:47:14 | Speaker 1:

They should put may not unsend as their message.

00:47:15 - 00:47:18 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it'll be like Lydia and Zach may still see this.

00:47:18 - 00:47:40 | Speaker 1:

Oh, there you are. Okay. um texter here uh 248 says that they 100 believe he's in a relationship with the woman he sent the flowers to 100 so i don't know where you're getting that from you got a call in person 616 uh oh here is j that is jason is this 616 what did you want to say jason

00:47:40 - 00:47:51 | Speaker 3:

i was just gonna say that um just because the area code says atlanta doesn't mean they don't live locally for sure a lot of people have their old don't you i actually have an atlanta number

00:47:51 - 00:48:17 | Speaker 1:

and i live here so jason let me ask you this question just so that you can speculate with us on this because we're all kind of trying to figure this one out he's having a child with another person do you feel like he sounded like he was in a relationship with this person other than just having the baby no no i don't think he but i mean having a baby is kind of a big deal

00:48:17 - 00:48:23 | Speaker 3:

right so he's gonna have to he's gonna have to be in a relationship with her regardless yeah

00:48:23 - 00:48:30 | Speaker 1:

i mean it is definitely a shocker to a wife to find that out that uh your husband is having a

00:48:30 - 00:48:37 | Speaker 3:

child with another woman which i could not imagine yeah more of a side girl kind of thing

00:48:37 - 00:48:52 | Speaker 1:

I couldn't imagine what that must be like. Like, I could not imagine knowing that your spouse is cheating, but also knowing that they got them pregnant and what that must be like. Somebody needs to tell me if you've lived through that. How do you get through it? What's up, Jordan? How you doing?

00:48:54 - 00:49:05 | Speaker 2:

So I'm wondering if Brittany needs her real name at all, because when someone asks me if it's Jordan, I don't immediately hang up the phone. It's kind of weird.

00:49:05 - 00:49:06 | Speaker 1:

So you...

00:49:06 - 00:49:07 | Speaker 2:

What do you mean?

00:49:07 - 00:49:10 | Speaker 1:

Explain that a little bit more, Jordan.

00:49:10 - 00:49:18 | Speaker 2:

So you said when you called her, someone answered, and you asked for Brittany right away?

00:49:18 - 00:49:49 | Speaker 1:

Yes, we called the, yeah. Oh, you're calling, so you're talking about when we, so we called up, we said, so you think maybe that's her, not her real name? I think, because it happened well after we did the initial call, I think he texted her and said, don't talk. oh okay i think you did it like right away no it was it took a little bit of time because we had to you know get through trying to figure out all the legal stuff but uh what's up toya hi

00:49:49 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 2:

hey y'all my favorite people in the morning there's my favorite toya what's going on hey let me tell you what he did he spent the block

00:50:00 - 00:50:57 | Speaker 4:

did he can he spent the block that's what he did he spent explain for us uh uh non spin the block folk here okay so meaning it was somebody he dealt with before in his past relationship whatever it was okay that makes sense they broke up and then he circled back to get some of the good good and then got her pregnant he spent the block he spent the block but mojo can i share a quick story do you have time i do i have time okay so this was some years ago i was dating a guy we broke up he got in a relationship with somebody else right i'm telling my business they broke up me and him spent the block he found out the other girl was pregnant so he got back with her then six months later he found out the girl who he was seeing between me and her got pregnant so he got two kids, that's like three months apart. But it skid me. It skid me.

00:50:57 - 00:50:59 | Speaker 6:

Wow, you got lucky on that.

00:51:00 - 00:51:04 | Speaker 4:

So it happens, but you know I love y'all. We love you, Toya.

00:51:04 - 00:51:10 | Speaker 6:

Thank you for the call. Appreciate it. Initial K wants to voice this guy as their voice. What's going on, K?

00:51:13 - 00:51:17 | Speaker 2:

My husband has done this twice.

00:51:18 - 00:51:20 | Speaker 6:

He's gotten two other women pregnant?

00:51:21 - 00:51:27 | Speaker 2:

Yes. We have been separated the last two years, but we have been married 38 years.

00:51:27 - 00:51:40 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. How did you find out about these other women? Well, the first one, she, the woman told me. Okay. And she was already pregnant or had the baby?

00:51:40 - 00:51:51 | Speaker 2:

And she didn't want me in the child's life, so we didn't know the child until she was 12. And then I took over raising her at that time.

00:51:52 - 00:52:00 | Speaker 7:

How did she contact you to say, here's your husband's daughter?

00:52:02 - 00:52:10 | Speaker 2:

This was 23 years ago, the first one. So it was over when you left a message on your home phone. Oh, my.

00:52:11 - 00:52:11 | Speaker 6:

Wow.

00:52:12 - 00:52:13 | Speaker 2:

What happened the second time?

00:52:14 - 00:52:15 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, tell us about that one.

00:52:15 - 00:52:20 | Speaker 2:

Well, this one was a young girl, 33 years younger than him.

00:52:21 - 00:52:22 | Speaker 6:

Where's he meeting?

00:52:22 - 00:52:49 | Speaker 2:

these girls at his profession what does he do fire firefighter yep using that hose on them and how did you find out about them having a baby the second one neither my my kids or my stuff wound up two days before she was gonna have the baby he hid it that long wow i don't know how he

00:52:49 - 00:52:55 | Speaker 6:

takes care of these people and their babies does he pay for that uh his child supports well that's

00:52:55 - 00:53:00 | Speaker 2:

why he moved in with the young girl because you won't have to pay child support oh my god so you

00:53:00 - 00:53:06 | Speaker 6:

guys are not together but you're together you have not officially divorced i well i filed for

00:53:06 - 00:53:12 | Speaker 2:

divorce but he won't sign oh wow you're dealing with that's crazy what what happens in that

00:53:12 - 00:53:17 | Speaker 1:

situation you want to get divorced but he refuses to sign like is there a period that you wait before it finally can happen.

00:53:18 - 00:53:28 | Speaker 6:

That's crazy. Wow. That is crazy. That's nuts that the courts won't make it happen. It's like sensibility, right? Kristen or Kirsten, what's up?

00:53:29 - 00:54:09 | Speaker 5:

Hey, guys. So I have a mutual friend, and she had a child with her man, like three of them, and then he did step out on her, and she found out the girl ended up getting pregnant. Unfortunately, how this one ended is, you know, he's not involved with the baby because her feelings are hurt, et cetera, et cetera. But what she ended up doing is he was a big Detroit fan, Detroit Lions fan. So she went and burned all of the memorabilia he had, every single jersey he had. Like, it was a rampage. I ended up getting videos from two of my friends of them burning all of his stuff when they found out that, you know, he had got her pregnant. But unfortunately, you know, he's not really involved in the baby's life this day. But I just wanted to call and share.

00:54:09 - 00:54:25 | Speaker 6:

No, it's always a similar kind of situation where they find out that there's not only another woman in the relationship, but another woman that's having a baby. What kind of lying stuff did that one? Hopefully not like an autographed Barry Sanders jersey.

00:54:25 - 00:54:28 | Speaker 1:

I'm surprised that didn't go viral and we didn't see it or something.

00:54:29 - 00:54:35 | Speaker 6:

Stephanie wants to bring up the text message that was unsent. What did you want to say about that?

00:54:35 - 00:54:42 | Speaker 3:

i was just wondering he said he couldn't stay over anymore so that insinuates that he was

00:54:42 - 00:55:29 | Speaker 6:

staying over so what happened with that well she said that he traveled for work and that's where he probably was traveling he wasn't traveling for work at all he was traveling to go see this girl you know oh so yeah from out of town yeah exactly just just a bad situation I'm going to show you what I'm going to do.

00:55:00 - 00:55:05 | Speaker 5:

we will keep you up to date on this if we get any more on the War of the Roses.

00:55:05 - 00:55:09 | Speaker 4:

Smokey, nasty, and smelly. Sounds like Mojo's bathroom.

00:55:12 - 00:55:22 | Speaker 5:

But that's just the air outside. This is Mojo in the Morning. I can't even see you over there, Kev. It's like all of a sudden, it's like hazy in the studio here right now. It smells in here for sure.

00:55:22 - 00:55:24 | Speaker 6:

You sure it's not the...

00:55:24 - 00:55:30 | Speaker 5:

The contusion, the hemoglobin. I don't know how it is. Is it getting worse? Wait, let me see.

00:55:30 - 00:55:32 | Speaker 3:

I can't see that side here. It's still the same. It's the same.

00:55:32 - 00:55:37 | Speaker 6:

It's the same, yeah. God, that's big. So it wasn't like that when y'all first saw him this morning.

00:55:37 - 00:55:39 | Speaker 3:

I didn't notice it, but I also sit on the other side of him.

00:55:40 - 00:55:40 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Yeah, true.

00:55:42 - 00:55:47 | Speaker 5:

Listen, I think this just adds to all the other injuries that I have in my life.

00:55:47 - 00:55:49 | Speaker 6:

You've had a year. You've had a hell of a year.

Mojo in the mornings, dirty on the 30.

00:56:19 - 00:56:28 | Speaker 5:

All right, I'm going to have Shannon take over from here because there's a lot of stuff to talk about. Are you going to talk about the smokiness? Because I think that's...

00:56:28 - 00:56:31 | Speaker 3:

I was going to talk about it next hour only because we just talked about it, but...

00:56:31 - 00:56:46 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no, we got it. I think right now would be... Let's talk about it every hour because I'll tell you what, no joke, I've got 17 text messages in my inbox. About the smoke. All friends that are all saying, was it that bad? Is it that bad right now? Is it bad? Like everybody wanting to know how bad it is.

00:56:46 - 00:56:52 | Speaker 3:

The air quality in here at Eastern Market in Detroit, I just checked the app, is at 500, which is hazardous.

00:56:53 - 00:56:54 | Speaker 5:

What is good?

00:56:54 - 00:56:55 | Speaker 2:

I need to look it up.

00:56:55 - 00:57:03 | Speaker 3:

Hang on. So good would be, I don't know. I don't see the slider. It's just showing 500.

00:57:03 - 00:57:06 | Speaker 2:

It's all the way to the right. Yeah. In the darkest red.

00:57:06 - 00:57:06 | Speaker 3:

So I don't know, not 500.

00:57:07 - 00:57:28 | Speaker 4:

This morning, extreme and historic weather conditions putting millions of Americans at risk. with dangerous smoke from Canadian wildfires now blanketing the Midwest and Northeast and Central Texas in the midst of a life-threatening flood event. First in the north, water bombers and helicopters now deploying to fight more than 180 wildfires in Canada.

00:57:28 - 00:57:30 | Speaker 1:

We're encased in flames now.

00:57:30 - 00:57:42 | Speaker 4:

Flames surrounding this freight train, the crew managing to escape. Smoke from the fires turning the sky orange from Toronto to Niagara Falls, all the way east to Boston, where the sky looked apocalyptic.

00:57:43 - 00:57:48 | Speaker 1:

Breathing's a little bit more strained than normal. I felt a little bit in my lungs, like a little burn.

00:57:48 - 00:58:00 | Speaker 4:

In the upper Midwest, this bridge in Michigan, nearly invisible, smoke also spreading from fires burning in Minnesota's Superior National Forest. One official warns some fires there could burn for months.

00:58:00 - 00:58:12 | Speaker 1:

Odds are these fires will be here until it snows. So there will be some fire on the ground in some form or fashion along with smoke until it snows.

00:58:13 - 00:58:22 | Speaker 4:

This map showing the spread of the smoke. Air quality alerts now issued across more than a dozen states. Breathing that smoke is a risk for sensitive groups.

00:58:22 - 00:58:28 | Speaker 2:

They might experience more cough, tightness in the chest. They might experience more wheezing, difficulty breathing.

00:58:29 - 00:58:34 | Speaker 4:

Coupled with the high temperatures from the heat wave, officials are warning people to limit time outdoors. Yeah.

00:58:35 - 00:58:43 | Speaker 6:

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, in terms of air quality good especially for outdoor activities the level should be between

00:58:43 - 00:58:50 | Speaker 3:

zero and 50 and it's at 500 if these activities do not get canceled for today i'm gonna be so

00:58:50 - 00:59:03 | Speaker 5:

we're in a hazardous yeah hazardous area right i mean it it's in in downtown detroit where we are right now you cannot see buildings that are i mean barely they say normally the air quality is

00:59:03 - 00:59:08 | Speaker 6:

between 200 and 300 that's considered very unhealthy the only and we're at 500 the only

00:59:08 - 00:59:18 | Speaker 5:

good thing about this and i know this sounds crazy to say this is a good thing the temperature is going to feel a little bit cooler today not as humid no sun in the air i mean it's it's technically

00:59:18 - 00:59:56 | Speaker 3:

sunny today yeah but we're just not seeing the sun it's like i have these um i don't know if you guys have air purifiers in your homes or apartments but i i have these they're called like molecule or i don't even know what the heck they're called but this morning when i went downstairs they were like they're like on overdrive this morning with all of this stuff so yeah crank yours if you have some so why is it so funny when people fart in public i i feel like i'm in second grade again but 75 year old democratic senator chuck schumer was talking about president trump's war in iran when he farted real loud on the senate floor yesterday complete investigation that's independent

00:59:56 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 6:

now on Iran and the NDAA.

01:00:00 - 01:00:02 | Speaker 2:

When all the Trump administration...

01:00:02 - 01:00:11 | Speaker 5:

You guys, he started grinning. He started grinning, he knew. That was either a big stomach gurgle or that was an airy fart.

01:00:11 - 01:00:16 | Speaker 2:

It happens to you when you get a certain age where just randomly, like...

01:00:16 - 01:00:22 | Speaker 5:

I watched that video, I'm embarrassed to say how many times. It's so funny to me.

01:00:22 - 01:00:24 | Speaker 2:

The best is the pause. When the fart happens and there's a pause.

01:00:24 - 01:00:25 | Speaker 4:

Is that me?

01:00:26 - 01:01:37 | Speaker 5:

I've got an update on what's going on with M&M's ex-wife, Kim Scott, told you yesterday that she was taken out of her east side home in a gurney and rushed to McLaren-McComb Hospital in Mount Clemens Saturday night. They were responding to a call from a relative. A dispatcher told emergency responders, quote unquote, caller says aunt cut her wrist and she's bleeding. She's currently on the couch listening to music. The knife is in her hand and she will not give it to the caller. The person then added, okay, she's unconscious now. Well, I'm learning that she was irate and combative and only wearing a bra and underwear when police showed up on Saturday to her home. She also reportedly screamed to them, get the F out of my house. So they tased her. When she got handcuffs put on, she kicked a cop backwards in his left shin and bit his arm. So she was arrested for assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. Not good. And lastly, imagine doing a news report. You're on television, cameras pointed right at you, and a cockroach starts crawling on your body. One reporter from KTLA didn't say a dang thing. A true pro.

01:01:38 - 01:01:51 | Speaker 4:

And it's a lot more comfortable at this hour, but we're still in the 80s here in the Valley. So overnight temperatures not necessarily dropping. And this leads to less recovery time from the daytime heat. Oh, wow.

01:01:51 - 01:01:55 | Speaker 1:

I have to hand it to her. She was really calm.

01:01:55 - 01:02:00 | Speaker 5:

I don't know if she knew that was there at that point. She had to fly. They do fly.

01:02:00 - 01:02:08 | Speaker 1:

That's like a flying cockroach. That's the thing that bit me? It could be. Who is so professional. She kept her cool with that.

01:02:08 - 01:02:19 | Speaker 2:

Honestly, these reporters have to deal with so much too, including people pestering them behind them or screaming out their window at them. But the bug would be the worst thing.

01:02:19 - 01:02:21 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Yeah, I'm doing it.

01:02:21 - 01:02:22 | Speaker 2:

Shout out to the OG.

01:02:22 - 01:02:28 | Speaker 5:

Hey, anything you missed or want to listen to again, you can do so on the podcast on the iHeartRadio app.

01:02:31 - 01:02:40 | Speaker 1:

Celebrity Dirt, directly from the source, is Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Your call may be monitored or recorded.

01:02:40 - 01:02:48 | Speaker 2:

All right, Emily is on with us right now. This is Emily from my favorite city in the world, Taylor, Michigan. What's going on, Emily?

01:02:49 - 01:02:51 | Speaker 3:

Hi, how are you guys?

01:02:51 - 01:02:54 | Speaker 2:

We're doing great, Emily. You're a winner. Congratulations.

01:02:56 - 01:03:03 | Speaker 3:

Yay. Thank you. Emily, how old are you? I've been trying to call for weeks. 22. It's my first time calling. Hey, Emily.

01:03:06 - 01:03:08 | Speaker 2:

How did you start listening to Mojo in the Morning?

01:03:09 - 01:03:14 | Speaker 3:

My parents used to listen on the way to school, so then I started. I love that. Now I'm listening on the way to work.

01:03:15 - 01:03:54 | Speaker 2:

You can see that now. I like it. It's a circle of life. Emily, the reason I ask that is the Chevy Trax was just voted the number one car for those that are in their 20s. And you're in their 20s. Oh, really? Yeah, they say it's considered an SUV, which it is. It's a small SUV. But stylish, sleek, and according to many, affordable. $28,000. This one's a loaded one, so you're going to get a loaded one if you win this thing. So I don't know what you're driving now, but could we use a new car?

01:03:56 - 01:04:00 | Speaker 3:

I have a Ford Escape, but it's been giving me issues since I got it used.

01:04:01 - 01:04:01 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really?

01:04:01 - 01:04:04 | Speaker 3:

Definitely, and I was broken down a couple days ago.

01:04:04 - 01:04:32 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no, I'm sorry to hear that, Emily. Well, let's get you into something new. We're going to give you a $50 gas card so you can go fuel up at one of your local Kroger stores. and then we'll see you in about a month from now when we're at Gordon Chevrolet on Ford Road just west of Merriman in Garden City. So see if you can take that morning off so that you can be there, okay? Yes, I will for sure. Thanks, Emily. Emily, first time in a long time. Emily on the phone. Got it twice. Have a great day.

01:04:33 - 01:04:34 | Speaker 3:

Thanks, you too.

01:04:34 - 01:04:38 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the morning. Shannon is breaking up with them.

01:04:38 - 01:05:00 | Speaker 5:

i'm kind of nervous about talking about this and i have to be careful about how i talk about it because i still haven't done this yet so there is somebody in my life who i need to break up with and i don't want to say who it's obviously not my husband um i don't want to say who but it is somebody who performs a service

01:05:00 - 01:05:02 | Speaker 3:

Hey, that sounds even weirder than that.

01:05:02 - 01:05:27 | Speaker 4:

But it's been a part of my life for a really, really, really long time. Okay? So been a part of my life for a long time. I am just feeling like there is someone who suits me better at this stage in the game. But I love this person so much, and I'm so scared to say something or make the switch because I love him or her. You know who it is.

01:05:27 - 01:05:30 | Speaker 3:

You know who it is. Can I be honest with you?

01:05:30 - 01:05:33 | Speaker 4:

Because I said to you, how do I do this?

01:05:33 - 01:05:35 | Speaker 3:

And you have to say something.

01:05:36 - 01:06:15 | Speaker 4:

Are y'all like friends? Please do not. Please do not. Please do not say anything, truly. I know. Because I need to work up some courage. You're going to make some stupid joke right now. But like, how do you do it? You've been very intimate for a while. If you are a service provider, like a dentist, doctor, hairstylist, tanner, therapist, like yeah how would you recommend that someone quote-unquote break up with you or how has it been done in the past that pissed you off i don't know do you have to like the people i feel like i need to say something i feel like i owe it to this person to say something do you have to or do you

01:06:15 - 01:06:22 | Speaker 3:

can you just not just you know hang out anymore or something yeah do you ever have i think that

01:06:22 - 01:06:26 | Speaker 4:

would be really rude after all this person has done can i throw this out there though with

01:06:26 - 01:07:02 | Speaker 3:

friendships like uh and this is obviously a person that i'm sure that you're also friends with because shannon becomes friends with you know a lot of people i i feel like sometimes with friendships that you just need to just not even talk to them anymore like just like block and go like i don't agree and when i'm gonna say why that you you you need to there are there there's a reason and i've had two in the last 27 years of my life that um were just kind of like they were they were leeching off of me like they were sucking off of me you know what i mean

01:07:02 - 01:07:13 | Speaker 4:

okay this is not this is not a like a friend this is somebody who has become a friend over the years but this isn't like a girlfriend or something but let me tell you with friendship

01:07:13 - 01:07:37 | Speaker 3:

sometimes sometimes if you explain it to them all it does is cause you to have more drama to think of what you need to explain and then also they then try to get back into things you just sometimes need to go this person's not obviously I know who this person is can I tell you why I think that you're going to honestly have to say something to them because there's things that you're going to have to

01:07:37 - 01:07:40 | Speaker 4:

yeah I get where you're going I don't want to

01:07:40 - 01:07:48 | Speaker 3:

844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 so everybody thinks it's a hairdresser which I don't think so anymore

01:07:48 - 01:07:50 | Speaker 2:

that was my first thought

01:07:50 - 01:07:51 | Speaker 4:

Kelly don't worry I'm not going anywhere

01:07:51 - 01:08:00 | Speaker 2:

now I feel like I know who it is but you don't want me to say it so I ain't even going to say a name out there I feel like I got a good guess though

01:08:00 - 01:08:00 | Speaker 4:

can you write it down

01:08:00 - 01:08:03 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to put it in a group chat

01:08:03 - 01:08:05 | Speaker 4:

it's a random one

01:08:05 - 01:08:38 | Speaker 3:

that I kind of switched up my hairdresser and I didn't say anything at all I did the cowardly thing of not saying anything and it's not that I will never go back to Katrina. I definitely will go back to Katrina because Katrina and Katrina will do a lot of stuff and we're friends. I honestly was so ashamed because I felt like I was cheating on Chelsea. It was one of those things where you get one of those situations. Wait, what? I felt like I was cheating on my wife because Katrina and I were so close. No, bro. That's the

01:08:38 - 01:08:47 | Speaker 2:

excuse you lied and said. That ain't why. You think George Cuddy better. Just say that. No. I feel like it was cheating on you. No, you're trying to scapegoat out of it. No, I don't do that.

01:08:48 - 01:09:06 | Speaker 3:

But I also enjoyed the conversation that George and I had. George actually came up with an idea, and the idea was that Katrina take one side of the hair and he take the other side, which honestly would be fun. It'd be like basically a threesome hairstyle. Okay. Yeah. I don't know.

01:09:07 - 01:09:12 | Speaker 2:

Shannon, I don't know if there's a right way to do it. It might just be a pill of Band-Aid off situation.

01:09:12 - 01:09:36 | Speaker 1:

when i've been in this i've had to find like sort of like mojo something that's kind of the reason but not really the reason and i use that so like actually i have a very legitimate reason okay but i still feel yeah like with my nail person they are too far too far away from where i live now i don't want to drive there anymore but like really i just found someone who did it better

01:09:36 - 01:09:39 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? Because mine was proximity, too.

01:09:39 - 01:09:39 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:09:40 - 01:09:49 | Speaker 3:

Like, the idea that I could go right down the street from the radio station and not have to, like, I could go home right afterwards. Because George was, that's where he cut.

01:09:49 - 01:09:49 | Speaker 2:

You just got to find something.

01:09:50 - 01:09:50 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:09:51 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 2:

That's how mine is with Daryl right now. Like, Daryl used to cut in Southfield, and he still got his shot, but now he's moved to Livonia. Oh, that's a hike.

01:10:00 - 01:10:25 | Speaker 5:

do something a little different but it's a guy that cuts hair literally literally walking distance from my apartment that's a done deal but no uh i'm i'm not at that point you're loyal to there see it's loyalty it's it's sometimes it's more than just the service yeah right you become yeah conversational friends there's a relationship there hey lexi what's up

01:10:25 - 01:11:02 | Speaker 2:

hey good morning um yeah so my thought is if it's a service um sorry i just texted in my head all my thoughts that's okay what my thought we're not under a time constraint go ahead what's going on so what i'm saying is have a conversation about about what's going on like can it be repaired if it's a service like and you've noticed or you've had if you've voiced your concerns before if you haven't nothing's changed then leave but if you haven't voiced your concerns you need to have a talk but what can't ghost after that long of a relationship that's just they deserve a chat

01:11:02 - 01:11:29 | Speaker 7:

yeah but what if what if it's not about just having having the talk what if it's just that you just need to change in your life like there's sometimes i think in your life like it's i say i say this with like a new car like many people wait for their lease to come up right there are some people that are just like i just need something new in my life and i'm not going to go get a you know a girlfriend i'm going to get myself a new car sometimes you just need some a change

01:11:29 - 01:11:37 | Speaker 6:

in your life and it's it's easier to really i'm too i am so freaking scared like i just feel bad

01:11:37 - 01:11:59 | Speaker 2:

yeah you shouldn't but if they're but if you said like you said they've been in your life that long that you're now a friend they deserve a chat ghosting that that that's reputation that is people are going to talk about you so i definitely think that that is the wrong way to go but that's my opinion and i mean i doubt everybody's mojo you have good points too um but yeah lexi i was

01:11:59 - 01:12:15 | Speaker 7:

the type of person growing up before i met chelsea i would just hope that they would break up with me like i was i would always with girls like i would always just be distant and you know not committal and then they would go you know i'm not happy anymore i'm like you know that's

01:12:15 - 01:12:20 | Speaker 6:

interesting i'm really sad but i think or i would do that i really think we're better off as friends

01:12:20 - 01:12:56 | Speaker 4:

yeah that was my go-to what's up nia hi hey hi yeah so uh i was actually gonna say something similar to the last caller that yeah ghosting wouldn't be the best option and like with second day update you guys are always saying you know don't ghost just be up front so i think this could be a stimulus thing yeah yeah yeah i know it's gonna be hard but yeah maybe but i think you still should find a way uh to go about it nicely because you know think about if it was you you know you wouldn't want somebody to ghost you yeah no yeah i totally understand that yeah i uh i

01:12:56 - 01:13:02 | Speaker 7:

don't think it's gonna happen though i think shannon's gonna just end up ghosting but look

01:13:02 - 01:13:11 | Speaker 5:

so i feel like sometimes in these situations where we gotta have what we consider to be a tough conversation like we'd be labeling stuff wrong yeah and we build up this mountain of a

01:13:11 - 01:13:17 | Speaker 6:

moment that it really is not that large i know you know what i mean i know carly i do that with

01:13:17 - 01:13:46 | Speaker 3:

so many things what's going on carly hi um so i just wanted to add basically to what i was saying as well that i actually had to break up with my best friend because she did my hair for years and she was treating my hair appointments like not a priority because of our friendship like she would always cancel she would always like hey can we move it to this time but like with my work schedule i couldn't really do that so it got to a point where i had to be like listen i love our friendship and it's this is making me just like you so can we like do something yeah yeah yeah by the way

01:13:46 - 01:14:13 | Speaker 7:

that is a common thing where you have a service provided by a friend and the friends don't look at you as a good customer they look at you as just a friend that works yeah yeah i think shannon should do the it's not you it's me like i think but it that is true yeah i think you should go you know it's not i got broken up with a girl one time she goes it's not you it's me and i'm like what the hell's wrong with you you know perfect like what's going on here please

01:14:13 - 01:14:33 | Speaker 1:

and now a breaking news alert on mojo in the morning mojo every time you say we'll get to that next next is 25 minutes i have add i can't even remember what you were saying you were going to talk about by the time you talk about it get with it get a watch mojo this is mojo in the

01:14:33 - 01:14:52 | Speaker 7:

morning oh my god can i play some of these for you guys that caitlin jenner uh it does sound like caitlin jenner eric did a great job with that so so the lydia these are all texts that have come through it 95500 right of people that are upset about something yeah so Tony and I started this

01:14:52 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 2:

thing where when someone sends a mean text I screenshot it and I send it to him and then he turns it into a sweeper oh wait so these

01:15:00 - 01:15:12 | Speaker 4:

are real they're all real like they're quoted verbatim by mean tweets oh no they're all legit too listen uh mojo running late again huh buddy this cranky texture is gonna be even more pissed

01:15:12 - 01:15:33 | Speaker 2:

it's a shame and very frustrating how behind the show runs if mojo states war of the roses will be at 7 40 that's when it should be aired i wait to hear it before jumping in the shower only to find out at 7 43 that i still have to hear dirty on the 30 and a bunch of other banter blah blah blah

01:15:33 - 01:15:49 | Speaker 1:

get a watch mojo this is real quick real quick are these the same people texting like did you look at the number and see if it's the same person because these are different people really so they're different people interesting out there here's one here's one that deals with us go

01:15:49 - 01:15:54 | Speaker 4:

And now, a breaking news alert on Mojo in the Morning.

01:15:54 - 01:16:03 | Speaker 2:

Remember how good this show was years ago? Now we have to listen to these dirty men talk about their pathetic sex lives. Nobody cares.

01:16:04 - 01:16:07 | Speaker 4:

This has been a breaking news alert from a listener on Mojo in the Morning.

01:16:07 - 01:16:18 | Speaker 1:

By the way, Eric does sound like Caitlyn. It's like Caitlyn Jenner going, oh, my God. Oh, there's even more. Hold on, hold on. Listen, we got a lot of negative text messages.

01:16:19 - 01:16:23 | Speaker 4:

And now a breaking news alert on Mojo in the Morning.

01:16:23 - 01:16:31 | Speaker 2:

If I wanted to hear a bunch of middle-aged losers complain for hours, I'd arrange a family dinner. You guys are losers.

01:16:31 - 01:16:34 | Speaker 4:

This has been a breaking news alert from a listener on Mojo in the Morning.

01:16:34 - 01:16:46 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. These are so good. Lydia. Middle-aged? Me? Lydia, do we at least answer them back? I hope that we at least tell them, you know, or if you're listening, we apologize. We don't mean it.

01:16:46 - 01:16:49 | Speaker 2:

Oh, sorry that Kev has a pathetic sex life.

01:16:51 - 01:16:55 | Speaker 1:

Do you think it was your sex life that was pathetic or mine? I think they were, I don't know. But maybe a both?

01:16:56 - 01:16:59 | Speaker 4:

Whatever. And now a breaking news alert on Mojo in the Morning.

01:16:59 - 01:17:12 | Speaker 2:

You guys act like such minor inconveniences are a national emergency. So your coffee order got f***ed up. Big deal. It's not like someone sawed off your arms. This has been a breaking news alert from my listener.

01:17:13 - 01:17:14 | Speaker 1:

By the way, can I tell you, I remember.

01:17:14 - 01:17:16 | Speaker 2:

Somebody actually, I don't know.

01:17:16 - 01:17:26 | Speaker 1:

Can I be honest? I remember the day, too, with the coffee thing. I remember that. Oh, my God. Another late one. So I'm late with things.

01:17:27 - 01:17:30 | Speaker 4:

And now a breaking news alert on Mojo in the Morning.

01:17:30 - 01:17:38 | Speaker 2:

Whenever you guys say this will only take a second, it might be the biggest lie I've ever heard. You're a bunch of liars.

01:17:39 - 01:17:53 | Speaker 1:

This has been a breaking news alert from a listener on Mojo in the Morning. Oh, my God. Oh, it's so good. These are so. God. Tony did a great job. Fletch producing this thing. And then, of course, the legend Eric Harthen. And what a great job Eric did.

01:17:54 - 01:17:56 | Speaker 2:

And Lydia for flagging them down.

01:17:56 - 01:18:03 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, saving them. Great job, Lydia. Great producing. Oh, yeah. Oh, I know there are. I got one here that says Shannon on it.

01:18:03 - 01:18:04 | Speaker 2:

I can't wait.

01:18:04 - 01:18:08 | Speaker 4:

Uh-oh. And now a breaking news alert on Mojo in the Morning.

01:18:08 - 01:18:15 | Speaker 2:

If Shannon says real quick, then talks for seven minutes about something, I'm going to send her my therapy bill.

01:18:15 - 01:18:18 | Speaker 4:

This has been a breaking news alert from a listener on Mojo in the Morning.

01:18:20 - 01:18:35 | Speaker 1:

Real quick. I almost wish it was the same person. Like if it was the same listener that's complaining about that and that was how they sounded, I would have them be a misfit. They would be totally on the show. Misfit Karen. Hannah, you weren't any of those text messages, were you?

01:18:36 - 01:18:42 | Speaker 4:

No. And now I'm terrified to text any critique at all and be turned into a really bad voiceover.

01:18:42 - 01:18:46 | Speaker 1:

All right, watch what you say. Send them to us, 95500.

01:18:48 - 01:19:06 | Speaker 3:

I'd like you to go and do a little sobriety test.

01:23:26 - 01:23:37 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Check that out. Anna just gave me a ginger shot. Yeah, hopefully it helps. So we'll see if this cherry ginger lime juice can wake me up. Let's see if that shot. Release the cracking. Does that have mushrooms in it?

01:23:37 - 01:23:41 | Speaker 3:

Well, I love you guys. No, we love you too. We love you too.

01:23:41 - 01:23:44 | Speaker 2:

It's got leaves in it. Okay. Explosive diarrhea on the last one.

01:23:44 - 01:24:34 | Speaker 1:

All right, Mojo in the Morning. I got a question I wanted to ask, and I want listeners to tell me what they would do. So yesterday, I had to do a customer service phone call. I had to call Verizon. So I have Verizon family service, okay? So I have the family on a plan, and I needed to change things up a little bit because it was ridiculous that I've been spending as much money as I've been spending, but also I have like six people, I think, on this plan, all right? So like we're five people on this plan because I got the three boys. I got Chelsea's parents on it. So that's, and then me, six, I guess six people. So I call up the number. I had to talk to somebody personally and I, cause I hate talking to the, their bots. You know, you know, they always say on the phone number, you know, we could take care of this if you just text us, you know what I mean? And you know what?

01:24:34 - 01:24:39 | Speaker 2:

Agent, agent, agent. I don't want to do it. I'll be screaming in that damn thing. I do the same thing.

01:24:40 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 1:

So this is midday yesterday when I had a little bit of time to do it. And they got me on hold And I'm listening to this stupid music That they have Whatever the Verizon music is And they keep coming back with We'll be with you shortly Then I'm sitting there Being told that I'm such and such

01:25:00 - 01:25:31 | Speaker 3:

cube or whatever the deal is and i'm waiting and i'm waiting and then finally i got the phone sitting down there and then at this point i had been scrolling on social but now i'm like in front of my television so i can like actually watch tv so i got espn on to see you know where lebron's going and all this stuff and i look down at the phone and the number is on there of how many minutes it's been it says on the top of the thing and it says 29.13 okay so 29 minutes 13 seconds

01:25:31 - 01:25:37 | Speaker 5:

and i'm like do i just hang up the phone right now but you're you're 30 minutes in right but

01:25:37 - 01:25:48 | Speaker 3:

then i'm thinking i'm the next person i know i'm the next person because there's no way they're leaving somebody on for 29 minutes oh yes you say that one hour yeah waiting and two minutes

01:25:48 - 01:25:50 | Speaker 5:

before somebody finally answered?

01:25:51 - 01:26:18 | Speaker 3:

Finally. And then I had to sit there and wait. So here's my conversation that I ask. Are you like me where you sit there and think to yourself at 29, then at 30, 31, 35, 40, 42, 44, 50. At certain points I'm going, all right, I'm hanging up now. Then I go, if I hang up now, I got another hour. We're going to have to do this again.

01:26:18 - 01:26:23 | Speaker 5:

Do they not have the callback where it's like, we will call you back when you are?

01:26:23 - 01:26:24 | Speaker 1:

I do that with Delta all the time.

01:26:24 - 01:26:30 | Speaker 5:

It does work. However, it never fails. I miss the callback. And then I have to start all over again.

01:26:30 - 01:26:34 | Speaker 1:

Especially now with the iPhones, like, screening the calls. Which I have. Yeah.

01:26:35 - 01:26:41 | Speaker 3:

Can I tell you something with Delta? If Delta calls you back and you don't answer the thing, you know that it will call you again.

01:26:42 - 01:26:44 | Speaker 4:

Oh, good. That's a great feature. It's a crazy feature. Yeah.

01:26:44 - 01:26:46 | Speaker 3:

They've got good customer service.

01:26:47 - 01:27:01 | Speaker 4:

So I put my, well, I mean, you know, it's the only option you got these days. There are times where I'll put myself on the limit, where I'll say, I'm only waiting 30 minutes, and if it goes past the 30, then I'll just call back a different day or something like that.

01:27:01 - 01:27:03 | Speaker 3:

Don't you feel, though, that you wasted 30 minutes, though?

01:27:03 - 01:27:04 | Speaker 4:

It is what it is.

01:27:04 - 01:27:10 | Speaker 5:

I'm not going to waste another 30. I try to do other things while I'm waiting. I'll put it on speakerphone. It's so annoying.

01:27:10 - 01:27:40 | Speaker 3:

I don't understand the whole, like, we as a company are going to leave you on hold. And this happens with every company. So don't anybody just sit there and pick apart the cell phone companies or the cable companies. It happens with a lot of places. Our insurance, bad. Bad blue cross. Do y'all ever use the tax? Quantum health or whatever you guys are. I love using the tax.

01:27:40 - 01:27:44 | Speaker 1:

Me too. I always text, like with Apple and stuff. Yeah. So much easier and faster.

01:27:44 - 01:27:54 | Speaker 5:

Sometimes I will say, and it was with a cell phone company, it was with AT&T, I got so fed up. I finally was like, I'm going to get in my car and just go to the store and have them help me.

01:27:54 - 01:27:58 | Speaker 3:

And then you get there and they're like. Then face to face. Yeah. What's up, Paul? How you doing?

01:27:59 - 01:28:03 | Speaker 2:

Brother, your iPhone has that call waiting feature. You didn't even have to wait that long.

01:28:04 - 01:28:12 | Speaker 3:

How does that work? I don't know if I would trust it. It did come up that, hey, we could go, you know, put this call on hold or whatever the deal is.

01:28:12 - 01:28:17 | Speaker 2:

What is it? It's like a feature on there, though. You can just hang up and it will call you right back on your iPhone.

01:28:17 - 01:28:21 | Speaker 4:

When somebody answers. Wow, for real? Yeah. I didn't know that.

01:28:21 - 01:28:33 | Speaker 3:

Hey, quick question, too. And Shannon and I noticed this with her phone. I called you the other day and you were at the doctor's with the kids. And you had a voicemail lady that picked up.

01:28:33 - 01:28:46 | Speaker 5:

Okay, so I don't know how that happened because I have that for unknown numbers, and obviously I have you in, but I had sent you a message saying, hey, I'm at the doctor with the kids. I'll call you when I'm done. So what happened? You didn't get the text?

01:28:46 - 01:28:53 | Speaker 3:

No, the girl goes, let me call and see if I can get them on the phone. And then it came back and it says, I'm at the doctor.

01:28:54 - 01:28:55 | Speaker 5:

Oh, she read my text.

01:28:55 - 01:28:56 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, she read everything.

01:28:56 - 01:28:58 | Speaker 5:

I thought it would just send you a message.

01:28:58 - 01:29:20 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. That's weird. It was pretty cool how that worked. that worked, but I'll have to try that call waiting thing. I, I want, here's my thing. I was so pissed off and I just wanted to get it handled and they eventually got it. So thank you to them for doing it. But it was one of those things where I was thinking if I don't do it now, I got to find time tomorrow to do this. God bless you.

01:29:21 - 01:29:28 | Speaker 5:

Or if you're owed money or a credit or something, especially when it comes to the airlines, I am not giving up. Yeah. I want my money.

01:29:29 - 01:29:29 | Speaker 3:

Allie, what's up?

01:29:31 - 01:29:55 | Speaker 6:

I one time had to call customer service to fix an issue with my mother-in-law for her phone service. She has a prepaid line, and I have a postpaid line, and I ended up waiting an hour and a half on the phone for them to answer, mostly because they transferred me to the postpaid customer service first, and it needed to be fixed by the prepaid people, and it was just a giant mess.

01:29:55 - 01:30:00 | Speaker 1:

That happens to me all the time, where they're transferring you to, like, five different people. They're like, oh, let me try.

01:30:00 - 01:30:10 | Speaker 2:

transfer you let me transfer you oh my favorite is do they ever do this can we get your number just so that we uh can call you back if we get disconnected you know if i get disconnected they

01:30:10 - 01:30:31 | Speaker 4:

ain't calling me back thanks yeah what i hate working with chase i had to call chase for something and speaking to transferring loans the savings couldn't connect with the checking or like the credit card is a different department they had to transfer me around i'm like so you telling me the business checking account people just can't do a regular checking account either Like, are you looking at the system right there?

01:30:32 - 01:30:47 | Speaker 2:

I told Chelsea, I said, that I was on the phone for that long of a time. She goes, you know what you could have done during that time. I said, what's that? She goes, walk the treadmill. It is so true, right? How good is that? But what did I listen to? I had to be listening to their whole music. Carissa, what's going on?

01:30:49 - 01:31:05 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. So for my job, I have to call auto insurance and health insurance companies to verify, like, patient's insurance. and I have to wait on hold for, like, over two hours sometimes. But at least I'm getting paid to do that.

01:31:06 - 01:31:29 | Speaker 2:

You know what? Honestly, yeah. I mean, I guess that's part of the, they should pay us. I think if a company leaves you on hold for that long of a period of time, their retribution should be, hey, we'll give you money back. They did now. I will say this. I ended up saving. I ended up saving some money. Okay. It wasn't worth my hour time, though, that I was saving. I was saving. Actually, Teresa, what's up? Hi.

01:31:30 - 01:31:32 | Speaker 6:

Well, I'd like to know how much you saved.

01:31:32 - 01:31:38 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so I will tell you, I ended up saving just under $100 a bill.

01:31:38 - 01:31:46 | Speaker 6:

Okay, so you made $100 an hour. My bill is so nutty. I need to make that phone call. Yeah. It's out of control.

01:31:46 - 01:31:52 | Speaker 2:

By the way, my bill is more expensive than my current car payment that I have.

01:31:52 - 01:31:58 | Speaker 6:

Mine is similar. That's why I wanted to know what you saved, because I want to know if it's worth me wasting an hour to call.

01:31:58 - 01:32:03 | Speaker 2:

And I don't think that a cell phone should be worth more than a car payment. I think that's crazy.

01:32:03 - 01:32:05 | Speaker 6:

Now, mind you, I have my fiber on mine, too.

01:32:05 - 01:32:08 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Yeah, I don't. But still. What's up, Brooke? Hi.

01:32:08 - 01:32:09 | Unknown:

Brooke.

01:32:10 - 01:32:11 | Speaker 6:

Hey, first time, long time.

01:32:11 - 01:32:14 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Welcome to first time.

01:32:15 - 01:32:16 | Speaker 2:

Good morning.

01:32:17 - 01:32:25 | Speaker 7:

Good morning. So on Tuesday, I was on hold with the IRS for two hours, and then they hung up on me.

01:32:26 - 01:32:27 | Speaker 1:

Not pay my taxes.

01:32:27 - 01:32:31 | Speaker 7:

So I never even got to talk to them. It's their fault? No. You know what? Screw that, IRS.

01:32:32 - 01:32:37 | Speaker 2:

I'm telling you. Let's all stand up against it. The government.

01:32:37 - 01:32:45 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, and then I tried calling them yesterday, and then they just hung up. They're like, we're too busy. Bye. Try again later. You know what?

01:32:45 - 01:32:50 | Speaker 2:

That's what you should say on the 15th of April. I'm too busy. Bye.

01:32:50 - 01:32:51 | Speaker 7:

I'm too busy.

01:32:51 - 01:33:01 | Speaker 2:

Sorry. Then be at your door. Yeah, not busy now. What's going on, Ann? How you doing? I don't know. What's up?

01:33:01 - 01:33:21 | Speaker 5:

So my issue is when the business automatically recognizes your number. So, for instance, I work for a company that has a state firm policy. I have a state firm policy, too. So I call the toll-free number to pay their bill, but it transfers me to my agent. That's not helpful.

01:33:21 - 01:33:23 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I've never had that happen before.

01:33:24 - 01:33:32 | Speaker 2:

Where it says, hello, Ann, you know, it does that thing. It does that with me on Delta. Like when I call up there, it recognizes my number.

01:33:32 - 01:33:34 | Speaker 1:

That's because you're like a diamond medallion or something. I don't know.

01:33:34 - 01:33:55 | Speaker 2:

They care about you. I'm gold. I care about you. Gold. No, but can I tell you something, Ann, that sometimes that happens to me with my Xfinity. So it will pop up. And I'm calling because my son's cable is all screwed up. So I still pay Jacob's cable. For real? I know, in Chicago. Isn't that crazy?

01:33:56 - 01:33:59 | Speaker 3:

I mean, look, that's y'all life. Y'all think. I know they're happy about it.

01:33:59 - 01:34:05 | Speaker 2:

Shouldn't have had kids. I'd be a bunch better. Richer. Yeah. All right. Thank you for the calls.

01:34:07 - 01:34:12 | Speaker 7:

Watch the show live on YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitch. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:34:12 - 01:34:27 | Speaker 2:

we should actually do that with somebody call up the show and we just put them on hold for a while and see how long i think we had one time a caller that was calling with a comment during war of the roses and i didn't realize that they were still on the line and they were there for like 20 minutes

01:34:27 - 01:34:36 | Speaker 1:

wow hold on a second that is dedication no sometimes i get those complaints like i'll call some texters or they will call us and then they'll be like well please tell mojo not to keep

01:34:36 - 01:34:50 | Speaker 2:

me on for long uh i know i'm that's my karma biting me in the ass um all right it's mojo in the morning show the worst part of co-parenting kavin you having a little bit of an issue is

01:34:50 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 4:

everything okay yeah i feel like everything's okay it's always like a tennis match though but i would say for the most part we're fine but outside of not

01:35:00 - 01:36:00 | Speaker 2:

being able to see your child which is a position unfortunately i've had to be in i would say top two or one a one b would be not being able to speak to your child when you want to and there have been instances and this just happened yesterday and i don't want it to seem as though i'm saying that my son's mom is like doing it on purpose even though sometimes it feel like that and i do my best to not think that at the moment it could just be you know she's tired she forgot whatever the case may be but when i call and i know you're not at work whatever the case may be and i'm only reason i'm calling is to speak to my son and you say something like you know he in the shower or something like that like say i call you don't answer then i text you like let me speak to joe and then you say he in the shower i have him call you back and you don't have him call me or i call back you know an hour later or something and you don't answer then it's like well damn like What's really going on? And in those moments, it's like, bro, so today I'm going to get him a phone.

01:36:00 - 01:36:09 | Speaker 1:

I was just going to say, as much as I wanted to hold off on getting the phone, for that reason, it's amazing.

01:36:09 - 01:36:14 | Speaker 3:

Before that with the kids, with Lucy, would you just have to call their dad?

01:36:15 - 01:36:26 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but it's so much easier to just shoot loose a text. Or even like Smith has an iPad and he only gets so much screen time on the iPad. but at least I can shoot him a text and see, you know, if he responds.

01:36:27 - 01:36:40 | Speaker 2:

The iPad thing is so hit or miss with Joe, though. It is. It's like he might respond. Yeah, he might be on it. He might not be. And then when I get him, he sometimes be like, oh, yeah, I saw that. And he'd be like, all right, well, why you ain't saying nothing? Yeah.

01:36:41 - 01:36:47 | Speaker 3:

In fairness, has Josiah's mom ever tried to get Josiah?

01:36:47 - 01:36:48 | Speaker 2:

I ain't never been on that.

01:36:49 - 01:36:50 | Speaker 3:

So you've never been busy?

01:36:50 - 01:37:01 | Speaker 2:

I will say, like, in my younger years when I felt like I was in a tit-for-tat space, but no, I'm not on that at all. Like, I want you to talk to her. Get your conversation on real quick.

01:37:01 - 01:37:25 | Speaker 3:

I would think that the worst thing about co-parenting would be that when there is an issue where your child has, like, either a disciplinary issue or there's some kind of an issue at school or whatever the deal is, trying to get everybody together. It would feel like you're going back to mediation days and stuff like that to be on the same page. Does that ever come into an issue with it?

01:37:25 - 01:38:03 | Speaker 2:

And I do want to say this, though. This all could be in my head, you know what I mean? But it just sucks when you want to reach out and talk to your child and you can't. From a mediation perspective, I don't feel like that. Like, we still trying to figure out where Joe about to go to school. And we down to, like, the final two. And I feel like I need to have a conversation with her this week. But it's kind of been, like, text messaging kind of going back and forth. and we haven't really been able to talk. So hopefully this weekend we can figure out a time to talk. I don't know. It's hot outside. Canada fires. She feel overwhelmed. And when Jazz get overwhelmed, it's like she shut down. It's tough.

01:38:04 - 01:38:07 | Speaker 3:

What is it that you were calling Josiah for that you needed?

01:38:07 - 01:38:11 | Speaker 2:

Just want to talk, bro. Like it ain't even so I enjoy. Call me.

01:38:11 - 01:38:12 | Speaker 3:

I'll talk to you.

01:38:12 - 01:38:13 | Speaker 2:

You ain't the same.

01:38:13 - 01:38:16 | Speaker 3:

All I had time for yesterday was sitting on the phone waiting for Verizon.

01:38:16 - 01:38:44 | Speaker 2:

You had an hour in his beer. Sometimes you just want to hear your child's voice. Sometimes you just want to say, how are you? And just knowing that you can ask that question is enough to settle you down. I think she's going to be cool with you getting a phone for him. Yeah. That was a conversation, yeah? Did you talk to her about that? I mean, we've touched on it periodically throughout maybe the last two, three years of his life. But it's at a point now where I feel like, he's 13, he's going to name her.

01:38:44 - 01:38:49 | Speaker 1:

It is going to be so much easier and better for you.

01:38:49 - 01:39:06 | Speaker 3:

By the way, from a person that does not co-parent, although Chelsea would think that we co-parent sometimes with the way that I do things, I try to call my son, Luke, especially, and sometimes I don't get an answer. So understand that that's going to happen with Josiah with this phone.

01:39:07 - 01:39:30 | Speaker 2:

You're going to call him up. Now he's going to look at you and go, eh, screw that. Luke 21, though. Joe at 13, he better answer every time. And that's going to be a rule. Whenever you see my name pop up, I need you to respond within 10 minutes. I'm going to give you time in case you're doing whatever, or you don't have a phone because that's the purpose of it. I'm not giving it to you so you can download apps and talk to your friends and play games and do all of that. This is a communication device.

01:39:30 - 01:39:39 | Speaker 3:

There was a time when Luke was probably around 13 years old, and he wouldn't pick up my phone calls. He'd be hanging with his friends. But what's up, Mary? How you doing?

01:39:42 - 01:39:43 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Mary.

01:39:43 - 01:39:47 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Mary. Mary's not taking my call. There you are. What's going on?

01:39:48 - 01:40:08 | Speaker 1:

Well, my daughter and I had an agreement that she got a phone when she was five because she was... product of a divorce unfortunately yeah and uh it worked very well so that so you you uh and

01:40:08 - 01:40:25 | Speaker 3:

her dad divorced and you got her a phone that early of an age because if you couldn't get him to give her the the phone right i wasn't going to but he for the first almost two years was

01:40:25 - 01:41:11 | Speaker 1:

playing major games so um i just i just said you know it's okay if uh i told him i said i'm gonna get her a phone and he said no you're not so i did and uh she just watched for a text and then she would uh give me a call back and he'd say who are you talking to and he said mom and i had to explain to him look you wouldn't like if i did it to you i would never keep you from your child yeah and that's not healthy for her yeah she needs to know that we work together and this was 23 years ago and uh are you still paying for her phone yes

01:41:11 - 01:42:03 | Speaker 3:

can i can i tell you something that bothers me mary and uh i have friends of mine that are divorced and they will try to call their child when their child's over at their uh you know ex's house and when the exes will say this is my time you're you're messing with my time this my time thing it's your kid's time you're you know what i mean like if you guys were still together it wouldn't be a situation where you your kid would go you know i'm sorry i'm supposed to be over here with dad not over here with you i hate when i hear stuff like that and i would like to think that if i were in a situation with with my wife where that happened that we would not be petty like that that we would let it be the priority would be the kids uh because that sometimes you'll hear those stories like this is our our week that we have for sure look and i've i've i've adopted

01:42:03 - 01:42:22 | Speaker 2:

that philosophy too again early on and it's a lot it's misplaced perspective you are only seeing through the lens of your own hurt not the healthiness of your child and you think you just don't think about the kid in those moments yeah brian what's going on hi hey kev i just want to

01:42:22 - 01:43:10 | Speaker 4:

tell you keep keep your head up buddy it'll get better um i i had the same situation uh my ex you know wouldn't let me talk to my son when uh when i wanted to we lived on opposite ends of the state um you know we wound up uh uh chatting with my son through clash of clans you know we would We would play the game together and chat together. And, you know, four or five years later, he told his mom that he wanted to come live with me. So, you know, by her keeping him from talking to me, it made him want to come live with me. So I wound up, you know, getting custody of him or he came to live with us because he didn't like the situation. So I just tell you, keep your head up, buddy. I'll keep you in prayers. It'll get better. You just got to trust that it'll get better.

01:43:11 - 01:43:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, appreciate it, bro. And I don't want it to seem like I can never talk to Josiah when he's with his mom. It ain't that at all. I could have just been here being dramatic because I couldn't talk to him yesterday. What if Josiah said, I don't want to talk to him? Sometimes he'd be on that. Really? Well, not like if those situations arise, it's because he's on roadblocks or doing something with his friends and I'm pulling him away from that. He's like, all right, yes, dad, okay. He's, like, very short.

01:43:40 - 01:43:41 | Speaker 3:

What's going on, Ryan?

01:43:43 - 01:43:50 | Speaker 5:

Hey, I just want to second that for Kevin. I got a lot of support for you, man. I appreciate all you do.

01:43:50 - 01:43:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh, God. Thank you, bro.

01:43:53 - 01:44:01 | Speaker 5:

Anyways, I'm a younger guy here. How old are you? From a younger perspective, I'm 18.

01:44:01 - 01:44:02 | Speaker 3:

Wow. Okay.

01:44:04 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 5:

So I'm a big first-time long-time. is it ryan ryan ryan on the phone um i'm an avid uh mojo morning listener like at work and so i from my younger perspective i wouldn't give my kid a phone until i think it is like utterly necessary just as of like i don't know a precautionary thing i just don't know if i necessarily trust any like younger kid with a phone like that being able to have access to too much stuff yeah what is your worry i don't i just there's every like the whole internet i just don't want the kid like growing up too fast i don't know if any of you guys saw toy story 5 you know what is is interesting is that movie by the way I

01:45:00 - 01:45:01 | Speaker 2:

I loved that. My God, like Ray.

01:45:01 - 01:45:11 | Speaker 3:

What if he got just a walkie-talkie? Remember good old-fashioned walkie-talkies? I bought him a watch. He don't keep up with the watch like that.

01:45:11 - 01:45:12 | Speaker 2:

They forget to wear it.

01:45:13 - 01:45:15 | Speaker 3:

Watches are too young.

01:45:15 - 01:45:17 | Speaker 2:

But it's the watch where you can, like, talk and text.

01:45:17 - 01:45:21 | Speaker 5:

There are a ton of controls you can put on the phone.

01:45:21 - 01:45:34 | Speaker 1:

Have you guys ever seen, I think they call it, like, a dumb phone or something. So it's, like, no apps. It's strictly like a phone, I think like a GPS and like music.

01:45:35 - 01:45:36 | Speaker 4:

Everything you need.

01:45:36 - 01:45:38 | Speaker 1:

But you can't watch porn.

01:45:39 - 01:45:43 | Speaker 5:

But you can text on it, though, correct? You can text on it?

01:45:44 - 01:45:45 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you can text on it.

01:45:45 - 01:46:11 | Speaker 5:

So I will say, so Lucy's had a phone since April, since her birthday. It has been amazing in terms of getting a hold of her when she's at the other house, okay? The one complaint I have is not content she's looking at on the phone or anything like that. She doesn't really have social media. It's the texting. These kids text. You're going to see this, Kev. Oh, my God. It's, like, wild to me how many text messages they can send in 60 seconds. Haley wants to come in to come with us.

01:46:11 - 01:46:12 | Speaker 3:

Haley, what's up?

01:46:13 - 01:46:15 | Speaker 4:

Hi, guys. Good morning.

01:46:15 - 01:46:16 | Speaker 3:

Good morning.

01:46:17 - 01:47:01 | Speaker 4:

So I have a 10-year-old daughter, and I co-parent with an out-of-state father. and so the thing is my daughter has a screen time issue i'm sure you guys with kids can probably relate yeah and she just wants to stare at her phone all the time and it's become an issue like she has a phone she doesn't have phone service on it just wi-fi connected you know her dad really wants to get her a phone and i'm just so worried of what it's gonna she's already got this attitude problem the way it is in the internet it's influence i just don't know i just don't know what to do in this situation he wants because he says he can't get a hold of her anytime call

01:47:01 - 01:47:08 | Speaker 3:

anytime i will put her on the phone basically he's saying in not so many words he doesn't want

01:47:08 - 01:47:13 | Speaker 4:

to call you he doesn't want to have to talk to you yes yes that's what it feels like i don't care

01:47:13 - 01:47:20 | Speaker 3:

are you pleasant though with him when he calls are you like nice absolutely like we yes whenever

01:47:20 - 01:47:24 | Speaker 4:

he comes he comes to visit her in michigan i let him stay with us him and his girlfriend

01:47:24 - 01:47:31 | Speaker 3:

here's the problem hayley the girlfriend doesn't like the idea that he has to call you

01:47:31 - 01:47:38 | Speaker 4:

there you go maybe i don't know maybe i don't know i listen i totally understand that if you

01:47:38 - 01:47:56 | Speaker 3:

do get josiah a phone you're now going to have to deal with the fact that he's going to want more screen time and he already has a lot of computer screen time right with his with his stuff um there are there are those times you're just gonna have to you guys are gonna have to parent and honestly i i say it though that you let him do a lot on his stuff i mean joe good

01:47:56 - 01:48:01 | Speaker 2:

like he doesn't get in trouble he on the dean's list like he like i don't really see that being

01:48:01 - 01:48:12 | Speaker 3:

an issue i just want to talk to him you want to talk to him you get do you when you want to talk to him is it are you lonely at the time or what is the i think whenever you're it's not me being

01:48:12 - 01:48:20 | Speaker 2:

lonely there's there's an attachment to your child like there's a lonely in that sense like i want my little buddy you know what i mean even just to hear your voice for a second think how

01:48:20 - 01:48:29 | Speaker 5:

many times a day you just text joe or jacob or luke like something that popped into your head and you're like oh hang on you do you probably do it two dozen times a day and you don't even

01:48:29 - 01:50:02 | Speaker 3:

realize it my kids won't stop calling me i would yeah joe joe joe said to me and this is actually funny next time joe's on you got to ask him this question joe said to me he goes sometimes you act like you don't want to talk to me and i go i don't oh my gosh like he was he'll call me up like he called he'll call me like three or four times a day and i'm like i kind of like the relationship i have with jacob once a week we have a conversation yeah a little check-in but joe literally would call all the time and i i get i get the idea that if i wasn't with and i know that i'm not with him all the time but if i didn't have them under my roof when they're little when they're at this age i don't know you guys both do an amazing job um you know with their you know uh their uh co-parents or whatever i hate calling co-parents because uh you know your husband and ex-husband and your uh um jasmine your jasmine i love when he searches for a word i literally it would it would bust me to not be able to be with my kids at all times i chelsea i talked about this on the we don't podcast one of the the times that we were definitely i getting a divorce i honestly thought for sure we're getting divorced we're preparing for this whatever it was me going to therapy and saying to dennis my therapist i don't know what i would do if at night i just couldn't walk into their room because they wouldn't be there and then the part that busted me was to know that somebody else You

01:50:00 - 01:50:11 | Speaker 7:

was walking into their room and nothing against, you know, uh, Wes, cause Wes is an amazing guy, but it would crush me to have another man, you know, taking care of my kid.

01:50:11 - 01:50:18 | Speaker 5:

You sound like Jay Z. Is that what he, what did Jay Z play football, which is saying, he's talking about Wilson Wilson and future and Sierra.

01:50:19 - 01:50:32 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. So that would, so, so, uh, you know, you guys all do great jobs with your, uh, with your kids. Uh, I'm sick of my kids right now, so I don't know where I'm going with this. I got a bug bite on my head that I'm thinking is messing with you.

01:50:32 - 01:50:33 | Speaker 1:

You got a big bite.

01:50:33 - 01:50:38 | Speaker 3:

It's still there. It's not as red because you haven't put ice on it in a while. But it's the same size. Do you feel it?

01:50:38 - 01:50:41 | Speaker 7:

Do you feel it protrusion? It's the same size. There's some kind of a bite or something.

01:50:41 - 01:50:45 | Speaker 3:

It's like a golf, truly. It's maybe a little bigger than a golf ball.

01:50:45 - 01:50:46 | Speaker 7:

It's like an A cup.

01:50:46 - 01:50:52 | Speaker 1:

I think you're supposed to draw a circle around it, and then if it expands outside of the circle, you know it's getting bigger. Go draw a circle. Here, I got a Sharpie.

01:50:52 - 01:50:54 | Speaker 5:

You got the pen ready to go.

01:50:55 - 01:51:08 | Speaker 4:

I'll look at the picture. When I hear the words cheating, loser, worthless moron, this guy comes to mind. Another world-famous War of the Roses happens at 9.05 on Mojo in the Morning.

01:51:24 - 01:51:31 | Speaker 4:

live mojo in the mornings dirty on the 30 all right let's get you caught up on what is trending

01:51:31 - 01:52:01 | Speaker 3:

this morning with the dirty on the 30 i love the people that i swear live under a rock one of my like facebook groups that i belong to this morning this this mom posted is there a fire we can smell a strong scent of smoke outside of our house is everybody okay is there a fire nearby I'm like, yes, there are a lot of fires. The smoke this morning, the smell. I mean, it is. We are under an air quality alert. The air quality hovering right around 500, which is extremely hazardous.

01:52:02 - 01:52:30 | Speaker 7:

You want to hear, this is the premier, I think they call him, in Canada. The guy who is the brother of, remember that mayor of Toronto that was crazy back in the day? Oh, my God, yes. Ford. Yeah, the guy smoked crack. This is him talking about the Canadian fires, and Canada is trying to prevent these things from lasting as long as they last by hiring 30 more firefighters.

01:52:30 - 01:52:42 | Speaker 5:

Our government will not spare a penny to keep people safe. Last year, we added 100 new firefighting personnel, and this year, we've added nearly 70 more. Come on.

01:52:42 - 01:52:54 | Speaker 7:

Okay, how about this? Okay. Let's hire as many as it takes to get this thing out, Or let's do this like hurricanes, you know what I mean? Like where if a hurricane happens or something, we ask for other people's assistance.

01:52:54 - 01:53:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I mean, the smoke creating unhealthy air conditions for around 100 million Americans at the moment. But they said the Detroit area, ready for this, has the worst air quality in the world right now. Wow. In the world, not just in the country.

01:53:09 - 01:53:11 | Speaker 1:

They should shut everything down and make a stand side.

01:53:11 - 01:53:24 | Speaker 3:

Everything's getting canceled, like activities and stuff for today, as they should. Just be really careful, especially if you have, you know, if you're compromised in any way. In the world? In the world. That's what this says. You got the thing, too.

01:53:24 - 01:53:25 | Speaker 5:

That's crazy, bro.

01:53:26 - 01:53:43 | Speaker 3:

The ESPY Awards aired last night, hosted by comedian Marcelo Hernandez, who, by the way, roasted Tiger Woods and Bill Belichick and his younger girlfriend, among other people in the sports world. But Will Ferrell, at one point, was up there with him. Did I not send you any audio? No, I did it.

01:53:43 - 01:53:44 | Speaker 7:

I'm trying to guess what you're going to say.

01:53:44 - 01:53:48 | Speaker 3:

I'm sorry. Yeah, Will Ferrell, play S.B. Will Ferrell. He was trying to translate.

01:53:51 - 01:54:04 | Speaker 6:

You can't say that. These are good people. These are good people. I will not translate that. How dare you? How dare you? These are good people. He was good.

01:54:04 - 01:54:12 | Speaker 3:

I know you love him. Former Indiana Hoosier and current Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Fernando Mendoza won the award for best men's college athlete.

01:54:12 - 01:54:30 | Speaker 2:

Football is the ultimate team sport, And although this award has one name on it, it belongs to so many people. I want to give a huge thanks to my family, my coaches, my beloved Hoosier Nation. And most importantly, out of all of them, my beloved teammates. Love you guys. Appreciate everything you guys have done for me.

01:54:30 - 01:54:53 | Speaker 7:

That was cool, by the way. It was cool to see him there, sitting there with his mom and his dad. And actually, he was sitting right next to or a row or so away from Detroit's very own connor hellebuck who is the goalie for the olympic gold team yeah and lives here in the area yeah um that was cool did you uh see who won the jimmy v award jim abbott jim abbott jim abbott

01:54:53 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 3:

do you know who jim abbott is i know he's a major league based former pitcher former michigan wolverine

01:55:00 - 01:55:05 | Speaker 5:

From Flint, he had one hand. He pitched in the major leagues. One hand.

01:55:05 - 01:55:06 | Speaker 2:

That's an incredible story.

01:55:06 - 01:55:14 | Speaker 5:

Amazing story because he also influences many kids who grow up with missing limbs and continuing to play sports.

01:55:14 - 01:55:41 | Speaker 1:

What you bring to the table is the most important thing. What you bring to the table is the most important thing. If I can leave you all this room of great achievement, of great accomplishment, of celebration, keep believing. Keep fighting. So many things are possible. If we can believe that we can do things different, make the most of what you've been given and keep believing in what you bring to the table, then nothing can stop you.

01:55:42 - 01:55:59 | Speaker 5:

Watch Jim Abbott do it. He would wear the glove on the hand that had, you know, the ability to catch with. And then he would take the glove off, hold it on his missing area of his hand and then throw with that same hand. It's amazing. And he would transfer back and forth.

01:55:59 - 01:56:03 | Speaker 4:

We had a catcher when I was in Little League that did the same thing. Really?

01:56:03 - 01:56:11 | Speaker 3:

My mom did that because she only has two fingers on one hand. But she would switch her up. What does she call hers? A little hand. I thought she had it. It was like her magic. Her little hand.

01:56:11 - 01:56:19 | Speaker 5:

He called his, his daughters would call it his little hand. And he said, thank you to my daughters for calling it my little hand because I actually made it seem more normal.

01:56:19 - 01:56:47 | Speaker 2:

Great story. The U.S. Mint is going to issue a $1 gold colored coin displaying President Donald Trump's face on it. the coin marking our 250th anniversary uh it will feature the phrase in god we trust on one side along with liberty and then 1776 to 2026 on the other side it will also show the presidential seal and the number 250 on a shield i'm not quite sure when those will be available you know he's

And lastly, I'm not going to play you the whole thing, but I am going to play you part of it because it was such nostalgia for me to see and hear. 02:01:32 - 02:01:51 | Speaker 2:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning show. Lydia is planning a girl's trip and has pissed off all of her girls, or at least a lot of her girls. And it's the people that she's pissed off are the people that aren't invited. And what is the story here, Lydia?

02:01:51 - 02:02:48 | Speaker 3:

So yesterday, my cousins and I were all hanging out, and we were discussing our end of the summer trip that we want to do together and when we were talking about it we were talking about it in front of everybody and one of my cousins said well I wasn't asked to come and then another one was like well what about me like I would love to come and I was like why would you guys want to come on a trip with single girls you guys are married you're not invited like you're not coming and and their husbands were sitting right there and they're like whoa like we've never told them they're not allowed to go on trips and I'm like but it's just the standard like why would you want to come and we're going to go out to clubs and we're going to be out late plus some of them have come with us on trips and then they wouldn't want to do anything because they were engaged at the time or some of them were married so i don't want them coming what do you mean wouldn't want to do what would they not want to do they wouldn't want to like stay out at the clubs they wouldn't want to run the streets like you guys know when i go to my streets yeah you know when i go to miami lydia runs the streets till like six in the morning in miami no i'm out late like i like

02:02:48 - 02:03:17 | Speaker 5:

to hang out and sometimes here's the thing though guys like i would want to go with you i just and i would still like go out to the club and stuff i just wouldn't be participating in the same activities at the club that you would and maybe i would and maybe i would take an uber back to the hotel a little earlier yeah but i would still want to like most of my girlfriends are married but i do have a few single girlfriends and we all still go together yeah but are they're all married or no no no i'm saying i have some i have some girlfriends that are single no offense i feel

02:03:17 - 02:03:35 | Speaker 3:

like it's like a standard for like people above 35 to like want to do that what do you mean like i feel like some of them understand like they understand they wanted that you would want to go home early like for me oh you want everybody to rally like yeah the whole group like and all

02:03:35 - 02:04:03 | Speaker 2:

my cousins are young granted you know but yeah so can i uh ask this and maybe you can explain it everybody isn't it true that if you are chaldean which is what you are you and bianca i always feel like i have to explain it you don't they're they're from another planet they're chaldean and that uh if you are married you cannot stand up or be a bridesmaid in a person's wedding yep

02:04:03 - 02:04:24 | Speaker 4:

that's also true and i'm not listening to that rule sorry that's really no listen if i'm married Married before Lydia, if that happens, I still want to be her bridesmaid. And I hope if she gets married before me, I'm still going to make her a bridesmaid at my wedding. I don't care about that. Me and my friend talked about that the other day. I'm not listening to that rule. It's a tradition.

02:04:25 - 02:05:00 | Speaker 2:

We don't need to follow it. That's an interesting rule. I always thought that was interesting. I didn't realize that it also went for girls' weekends. But I do kind of sense that this is something that might be more common in other people's lives. because i guess if you know if i like i i should i was gonna do this as a topic for tomorrow and and i will i'll do it later but the bachelor party for joe is coming up and i said i'm not going to the joe bachelor party now i want to go because of because of what they're doing and where they're going so i'll explain to you on a later show um

02:05:00 - 02:05:06 | Speaker 3:

But as a married guy, if my single friends were going and doing some partying on a weekend,

02:05:00 - 02:05:29 | Speaker 2:

Thank you.

02:05:07 - 02:05:14 | Speaker 3:

I don't necessarily know if I would want to go, only because I don't think that my wife would feel comfortable, and then it would make me uncomfortable all weekend being there.

02:05:14 - 02:05:15 | Speaker 4:

Married people got to have fun, too.

02:05:16 - 02:05:22 | Speaker 3:

Like, if you had a guy's weekend... All my homies married. Okay. Well, so then I'd be fine with that.

02:05:22 - 02:05:28 | Speaker 2:

You guys go, and it's mixed. Married, single. I'm the only single one. Are they playing wingman?

02:05:28 - 02:05:38 | Speaker 4:

We all do single spit. It's like, no, I'm just playing. That's a lie. I'm fully joking. You just got them all in trouble. But I'm saying married people know how to have fun, too. Just because you get married don't mean, like, your fun meter is empty at that point.

02:05:38 - 02:05:47 | Speaker 3:

Do you think, though, if things would be different if it was the opposite, where it's like all your friends are single and you had one married friend, would you still invite him?

02:05:47 - 02:06:07 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Really? Absolutely. I mean, if he felt comfortable coming and didn't feel like he had to be a lesser version of himself. You want people who feel as though that they can add to the fund and not subtract from it. And even if they like, you know what? I'm going to stay in the room, guys. I don't want to come out. Like you're subtracting from the fund.

02:06:07 - 02:06:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:06:07 - 02:06:10 | Speaker 4:

Even by removing yourself from the situation. Everybody got a role.

02:06:10 - 02:06:29 | Speaker 3:

I want to hear. So, so the friends that are married are thinking that you are leaving them out, but if they get a written permission slip, like you used to get when you were a kid from their, you know, husbands and they say that they'll abide by the run the streets rule that lydia is doing would

02:06:29 - 02:06:56 | Speaker 5:

you be okay with inviting them lydia no i'm still not no because you're gonna hold me back like these same cousins have held me back before and held our entire group up from doing things and going out because they want to respect their husbands what do you mean like holding back though because what if why don't they just go back to the hotel room and you guys go you shouldn't stop you go out but it's also like a caldean standard like you just don't want to let one of our cousins go back by herself and then you know we're just out and about that's just weak

02:06:56 - 02:07:21 | Speaker 4:

you think so no no i'm saying it's weak when they want to go back in the room that that subtracts from your energy that's what i'm saying we got it's like the thanos joint with all of the what you call them the infinity stones like you need all of them to be powerful like yeah you can have a good time with four stones but i need five in order to really end the world but kevin it's that analogy is crazy it's like bianca and i used to call it

02:07:21 - 02:07:26 | Speaker 5:

two man so if me and my cousin are single and we meet like two guys like we want to hang out with the two guys and we don't just want

02:07:26 - 02:07:34 | Speaker 6:

the third wheel there listen listen Liddy's been a third wheel with me I'd be a third wheel with you too

02:07:34 - 02:07:41 | Speaker 2:

I like that so Bianca is not invited to this because technically she's in a very very committed relationship

02:07:41 - 02:07:44 | Speaker 6:

Lydia

02:07:44 - 02:07:46 | Speaker 2:

did you get invited

02:07:46 - 02:07:49 | Speaker 6:

to this or would you

02:07:49 - 02:07:50 | Speaker 3:

Did you get invited, Bianca?

02:07:50 - 02:07:53 | Speaker 6:

No, I didn't get invited. But this is like a cousin's thing.

02:07:53 - 02:07:59 | Speaker 5:

This is a cousin's thing. No, actually, like I would trust Bianca to come along for this. I would. Yeah. Well, listen, so.

02:07:59 - 02:08:02 | Speaker 3:

She'd be on FaceTime with Bryce the entire time.

02:08:03 - 02:08:07 | Speaker 5:

Yes, but I would get worried, too, that Bryce would be a little upset if we're out at the club till three o'clock.

02:08:08 - 02:08:18 | Speaker 6:

But here's the thing. I think I've set a boundary to Bryce where I told him I'm going to do what I want, but I'm still going to respect you and respect us. So if I want to go out with my friends, have a girls night, and I still do it. I still do that. And it's not an issue.

02:08:18 - 02:08:35 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what's up, Jay? Your comments on Lydia running the streets with the single ladies. Oh, Jay hung up the phone. Come on. I just had that great buildup. That sounded so good. It would have been great with you. Mojo, I'd like to run the streets with the single ladies, too.

02:08:37 - 02:08:38 | Speaker 4:

On Biscay.

02:08:39 - 02:08:46 | Speaker 3:

Wait, so that's where you guys are going. You're going to Miami and going to South Beach.

02:08:47 - 02:08:53 | Speaker 2:

Do you know that Lydia does not pay for a drink when she goes to Miami? Never. Not a drink.

02:08:54 - 02:08:55 | Speaker 3:

What pays for the drinks?

02:08:55 - 02:08:56 | Speaker 5:

The men do.

02:08:56 - 02:08:57 | Speaker 3:

The double shots.

02:08:57 - 02:09:05 | Speaker 5:

And that's another thing. Do you think that my cousin's husbands are going to want their, you know, other guys paying for their drinks? I don't think so. Not the Chaldean ones.

02:09:05 - 02:09:07 | Speaker 3:

Let me go to Amelia. She'll be there for me. What's up, Amelia?

02:09:09 - 02:09:19 | Speaker 1:

Hi. So I am fully Chaldean. My friend is two. She got married at St. Thomas. I was pregnant nine months, and I was a maid of honor.

02:09:20 - 02:09:25 | Speaker 3:

Oh, so she still let you be the maid of honor, even though you were the pregnant maid of honor.

02:09:26 - 02:09:28 | Speaker 1:

Yes, nine months.

02:09:28 - 02:09:32 | Speaker 3:

That, by the way, is breaking the rules. Does she know that she's in trouble?

02:09:34 - 02:09:36 | Speaker 1:

Hey, that was five years ago with COVID, too.

02:09:37 - 02:09:49 | Speaker 3:

Let me ask you. Well, that's why, because everything was different during COVID. Amelia, I want to ask you a quick question. Now that you are married with kids, do you feel like you don't get invited by your single friends to go on weekends together?

02:09:51 - 02:09:54 | Speaker 1:

No, that's not true. We still go out and hang out.

02:09:54 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 3:

And your husband's okay with it. So do you think Lydia should let her cousins that are married come on the weekends?

02:10:00 - 02:10:01 | Speaker 7:

this weekend trip that they're doing to South Beach?

02:10:01 - 02:10:03 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, why not? They have a life, too.

02:10:03 - 02:10:06 | Speaker 7:

Come on, Lydia. Stop being so mean to your cousins.

02:10:07 - 02:10:07 | Speaker 6:

Why, why?

02:10:07 - 02:10:12 | Speaker 7:

Let Myrna have some fun. Who is it? What's her name? What's the cousin's name?

02:10:12 - 02:10:13 | Speaker 3:

I think that's her name. I think it's Myrna.

02:10:13 - 02:10:15 | Speaker 7:

Is it Myrna? Crystal, what's up, Crystal?

02:10:15 - 02:10:41 | Speaker 3:

Hi, how are you guys? I just wanted to say that I also am Calvian. I've been married for quite some time now. I had two of my girlfriends who were in my wedding, and they were both bridesmaids, and they were married. I do agree with Lydia to an extent, But at the same time, you know, I was one of my first, the older cousins. I was married first. My cousins always invited me to go out with them. I respected myself, my husband, you know, the group. You can still go out and have a good time, even if you're married. And you can still run the streets in a very respectful way.

02:10:42 - 02:11:05 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. So maybe this is a message to Lydia, but also a message to Lydia's cousins, that don't be going into the hotel early and not being fun, but then also don't be running the streets like crazy you can still go out there and have you know stay out late just not have to do crazy stuff right i mean even if you stay out late

02:11:05 - 02:11:19 | Speaker 3:

doesn't necessarily mean that you're doing bad things because it's late you can still go out with married with unmarried people having a great time dancing you know and say hey i am married but i'm just here enjoying the presence of my friends while we're still on this earth how often would

02:11:19 - 02:11:23 | Speaker 7:

you have to check in with your habibi back at home uh when you were on girls trips

02:11:23 - 02:11:39 | Speaker 3:

honestly i call him just when i have the availability me and my husband have a very great um communication we have very good trust between each other and i think that if you have a strong foundation in your relationship that you should be able to do all things you know uh

02:11:39 - 02:11:51 | Speaker 7:

again to a healthy relationship you got a healthy marriage i like you should invite her lady yeah hold on nessa is on with us what's up nessa hey what's going on guys good morning

02:11:51 - 02:12:33 | Speaker 5:

And so I'm with Lydia. I totally get it. And here's the thing. This is her trip. It's the cousin's trip. It's her preference. I have a girlfriend that whenever we're both single, we go out and we hang out. We have a great time. She's all 100% into what we're doing. But when she's in a relationship, she'll, like, we'll be out. And I look up, and she's on the phone. She's on the phone with the dude, and it's like, okay, you know, next time I'm going to be with you at the house because why are you here if you're not really enjoying yourself? Like, I don't get it.

02:12:33 - 02:12:36 | Speaker 7:

She's still attached to the umbilical cord, right?

02:12:38 - 02:12:48 | Speaker 5:

Yes. Attached to something. Yeah, now the dude is nice. It's not like he's a horrible dude, but I'm like, sir, like, let her enjoy herself. Why are you calling her? Why are y'all on the phone?

02:12:48 - 02:12:50 | Speaker 7:

We're running the streets, Nessa.

02:12:52 - 02:12:52 | Speaker 5:

Exactly.

02:12:55 - 02:13:02 | Speaker 7:

I just wanted to have a video of what Lydia and her friends do on these trips. Ruchi, what's up, Ruchi?

02:13:02 - 02:13:05 | Speaker 4:

Ruchi. What's up, man? How y'all doing this morning? Good morning.

02:13:05 - 02:13:06 | Speaker 7:

Good. What's going on?

02:13:08 - 02:13:38 | Speaker 4:

No, you can't bring the married people on the single trips. Like, they just be all in their phones and then checking the kids. like you gotta like because you go out to the bar it's just like you single you might need to level your life it might go down tonight like you can't and then like they might be with friends the people you meet but don you got your married girl with you and it's just it's just best to be like the single trips go on the single trips the married couples go on the married couple trips

02:13:38 - 02:13:48 | Speaker 1:

i think maybe the problem is too in lydia's case is she's calling it a cousin's trip but not all the cousins are invited so i feel like i i would be more offended in that situation too singles

02:13:48 - 02:14:03 | Speaker 6:

cousins trip that's what it's got to be called yes and my cousins are now texting me and they're like hey my husband's white they would be okay with see they all want to go they want to get out of the house get them out of the house they're desperate what does that mean does that mean that

02:14:03 - 02:14:07 | Speaker 7:

the chaldean husbands are a little bit more strict yeah so i have cousins who are married

02:14:07 - 02:14:14 | Speaker 6:

to pakistanis and another cousin who's married to a white guy and so they texted me in a group chat And they're like, our husbands would be okay with that.

02:14:14 - 02:14:15 | Speaker 7:

Oh, that's cute.

02:14:15 - 02:14:18 | Speaker 6:

Still no. She goes, still no.

02:14:18 - 02:14:23 | Speaker 7:

The Pakistani husbands. He's the best. You ain't going anywhere. What's going on, Jen? How you doing?

02:14:24 - 02:14:44 | Speaker 2:

I'm doing so. No, listen, Lydia, she is not wrong. She already said her cousins ruined the trip before multiple times. Like, she's paying all this money to go to Miami. Don't let no married cousins, single cousins, anybody piss in your margarito, your Cosmo, your pina colato. Don't let him do it.

02:14:44 - 02:14:45 | Speaker 7:

Don't margarito.

02:14:46 - 02:14:48 | Speaker 1:

Pissing in margarita.

02:14:49 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 7:

I love that. Jen, this might be my favorite phone call of the day. I love it. Don't let him piss in your margarita. There you go.

02:15:00 - 02:15:01 | Speaker 3:

You're single or married, Jen?

02:15:02 - 02:15:05 | Speaker 5:

Single. I don't have friends like that, so I don't even go anywhere.

02:15:05 - 02:15:08 | Speaker 3:

That's why I'm all for it. Lydia, invite Jen with, too.

02:15:08 - 02:15:08 | Speaker 1:

All right.

02:15:08 - 02:15:12 | Speaker 5:

Yellow Habibi, come. Deal.

02:15:12 - 02:15:13 | Speaker 3:

All right. Take care.

02:15:14 - 02:15:28 | Speaker 4:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Mesquite Grand Rapids. WVPS Toledo. Channel 955. 1045 SNX. And 92.5 KISS FM. And iHeart Radio Station. Guaranteed human.

02:15:29 - 02:15:42 | Speaker 3:

All right. Time for War of the Roses. Right after War of the Roses, we're going to give you a word that will hopefully make you $1,000 richer and give you a chance to pay your bills. Pay your bills. The key word is next.

02:15:42 - 02:15:48 | Speaker 1:

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

02:15:48 - 02:15:57 | Speaker 3:

Kennedy's husband sent her a text that she is convinced was meant for another woman. What was the text, Kennedy?

02:16:00 - 02:16:19 | Speaker 5:

The text, you know, basically said he could, he could not, no longer stay over anymore. And then he unsent it. And then he unsent it. And you lived together. He said, sorry, I can't sleep over anymore. And I was like, what? And then he unsent it.

02:16:20 - 02:16:24 | Speaker 2:

Did you text him and say, hey, what was that all about? I saw you send something and unsend it.

02:16:25 - 02:16:35 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. And he's like, oh, he said, oh, you know, that was, You know, that was just a mistake. I was just letting one of my boys know that I couldn't, like, stay at his crib.

02:16:35 - 02:16:38 | Speaker 1:

Has he ever stayed over at a friend's house before?

02:16:40 - 02:17:00 | Speaker 3:

No. And Anna brings up a good point. You guys live together. So it's not like it was a text that was meant for you. Right. So is he somebody that, like, is he not home a lot? Or does he sometimes not come home? or does he say he's away for things?

02:17:01 - 02:17:03 | Speaker 5:

He does travel for work.

02:17:04 - 02:17:18 | Speaker 3:

So there is a chance that he is not home and possibly at some other person's house, another woman's place or whatever. Yes. Has he ever cheated on you before?

02:17:21 - 02:17:25 | Speaker 5:

Not that I've ever been able, no, not that I know of, no.

02:17:26 - 02:17:28 | Speaker 3:

Have you ever thought that he was cheating on you before?

02:17:30 - 02:17:37 | Speaker 5:

I've had some spite, you know, moments where I thought something felt off, but no proof.

02:17:37 - 02:17:58 | Speaker 3:

But no proof. All right. We're going to call him up to see where he's going to send a dozen free roses. I want you to mute your phone, and we're going to ask him our questions and then see where he sends them, okay? So keep your phone on mute. Got it. We're hoping that the flowers go to Kennedy.

02:18:15 - 02:18:18 | Speaker 2:

Hello? Hello. Is this Terrell?

02:18:20 - 02:18:20 | Speaker 6:

Yes.

02:18:21 - 02:18:22 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Terrell. How are you doing today?

02:18:23 - 02:18:24 | Speaker 6:

I'm good. How are you doing?

02:18:24 - 02:19:01 | Speaker 2:

I'm good. My name is Nicole, and I'm calling you from a new online floral company called rosesbloom.com with an offer for some free flowers. If you're interested, I just need you to answer two short survey questions in exchange for a dozen long-stemmed red roses. Okay, is it going to take long? It's literally two yes or no questions, so it's fast. Can I go ahead and ask you the questions? Yes. Yeah, sure. Let's go. Okay. Have you purchased flowers in the last six months, Terrell? No. Okay. Do you plan on purchasing

02:19:01 - 02:19:09 | Speaker 6:

flowers in the next six months? Probably not. Okay. That's all I needed from you. And as a

02:19:09 - 02:19:25 | Speaker 2:

thank you for participating in that rosesbloom.com survey, I'm now authorized to gift you those dozen long-stemmed red roses. They do go out this afternoon and they can actually go out of state as well so i just need to get some info from you about who you want them to go to starting

02:19:25 - 02:19:36 | Speaker 6:

with a first name and a last name uh let's send it to oh let's send it to uh britney

02:19:36 - 02:19:41 | Speaker 2:

okay and what is britney's phone number

02:19:41 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 6:

okay and what's her relationship to you relationship uh i mean you know i don't

02:20:00 - 02:20:10 | Speaker 3:

I mean, yeah, we're cool. I don't know. I mean, she's having my daughter, so whatever you want to. I don't know what you call that, but yeah.

02:20:11 - 02:20:16 | Speaker 1:

Okay. So she's having your baby. Are you guys dating each other? Are you married or?

02:20:18 - 02:20:18 | Speaker 3:

No.

02:20:19 - 02:20:21 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Well, congratulations, by the way.

02:20:22 - 02:20:24 | Speaker 3:

Those are more than two questions.

02:20:24 - 02:20:57 | Speaker 1:

Sorry. Well, I mean, it was the two questions for the survey, and now I have to get all the info about who you want these to go to, obviously, Brittany, but we do something unique, Terrell, at rosesbloom.com, and instead of sending a paper card with these roses today for Brittany, I'm going to have you record a voice memo for her, and she'll get a text alerting her she has a delivery. This voice memo will be a part of that, so she'll be able to hit play, hear your message, know who the flowers are from. So I'm going to count you down, and when I do, you can just start talking, whatever it is you want to say to her, and when you stop the recording

02:20:57 - 02:21:10 | Speaker 3:

will stop. Okay? Okay. All right. Three, two, one. Hey, baby. I hope you enjoy the flowers.

02:21:14 - 02:21:26 | Speaker 1:

Okay. That's all you want to do? That's all I got. Okay. I also have to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes. Are you okay with that?

02:21:26 - 02:21:36 | Speaker 3:

you should let off with that okay well are you okay with that yeah whatever yeah that's cool okay

02:21:36 - 02:22:07 | Speaker 2:

terrell i'm gonna jump on real quick just to wrap this up and then we're gonna send those flowers off but i gotta let you know one last thing that while we have been talking to you and you've been sending flowers that your wife kennedy has been listening and just heard that you are sending them to another woman. And he's gone. Kennedy, is this a complete shocker to you?

02:22:10 - 02:22:18 | Speaker 1:

I almost don't have words. Do you know that person's name at all? No. No.

02:22:21 - 02:22:30 | Speaker 2:

All right, I want you to hang on the phone, okay? We're going to try to see if we can get that person on the phone by calling that number. Hold on one second. Busted again.

02:22:36 - 02:22:50 | Speaker 3:

It's your home for War of the Roses. Mojo in the Morning. The smell of chemicals and smoke. Pure Michigan, baby. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:22:52 - 02:23:09 | Speaker 2:

Kennedy, no response from that number, although we did get somebody to pick up the phone, and it was a female voice, but when we asked for Brittany, she just hung up the phone.

02:23:12 - 02:23:12 | Speaker 1:

Wow.

02:23:14 - 02:24:26 | Speaker 2:

All right, and we're doing a little look right now on social media to see who's the Brittany's, Brittany's, that we can find. All right. Thanks. All right. Hold on one sec.

02:24:27 - 02:24:28 | Speaker 1:

And what's her relationship to you?

02:24:30 - 02:24:45 | Speaker 3:

Relationship? Oh, I mean, you know, I don't, I mean, yeah, we're cool. I don't know. I don't know. I mean, she's having my daughter. So, I mean, whatever you want to, I don't know what you call that, but yeah.

02:24:45 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 2:

Not only having his baby, but having his daughter, he says. So he knows exactly what he's having. So this is somebody that has been around for a bit. This is a wild one because you know what? It turns, and Lydia, I think that this.

02:25:00 - 02:25:27 | Speaker 1:

may be the direction of where people can make comments on this and maybe some relation to this i anybody ever find out about their spouse cheating and then you find out that there's the baby on the way type thing and it he doesn't he doesn't define her though as his girlfriend in his note that he sent was not very loving either like it wasn't like you know it was like hey babe But it's not like something like...

02:25:27 - 02:25:30 | Speaker 4:

But regardless, there was some infidelity.

02:25:30 - 02:26:24 | Speaker 1:

But it makes me think that maybe this is a one-off, had sex, got her pregnant. Somebody, I don't know. Maybe somebody that was in and out of his life. Or somebody that... Yeah, but it doesn't sound like he's... Back and forth kind of thing. He doesn't sound like, although he did send her to the flowers right away and didn't hesitate, it doesn't sound like it's somebody though that he's in love with yeah in love with yeah it was just smashing and you know slipped up or something 844 mojo live our telephone number your comments on this and what your thoughts are or the text is uh 95500 you can also text call me if you have a good story and you're like i got to talk to these guys i want to talk about this uh and see what you uh you think um the unsent text thing is also an interesting one i still think apple needs to change that i don't know why they have it i don't either

02:26:24 - 02:26:41 | Speaker 4:

like why do you need the notification do not need it i think they do must do it for legal purposes it has to be right what i know what's crazy is i had that older computer that i was using for a while after my ipad got stolen and if somebody sent and then unsent a message i still saw the

02:26:41 - 02:27:07 | Speaker 1:

message but then it said unsent it happens on my um on any time if you're connected to an ipad and your phone with your text messaging or i messaging yeah it will do it so it doesn't on mine too so if somebody unsends something to me and i've opened it or i use my texts you know on my because i have my text messages right here on my computer it stays it yeah so it doesn't

02:27:07 - 02:27:11 | Speaker 4:

unsend. It doesn't unsend. It's just like for phones, I think. They should put

02:27:11 - 02:27:15 | Speaker 1:

may not unsend as their message. It does say that. Yeah, it'll be

02:27:15 - 02:27:19 | Speaker 3:

like, Lydia and Zach may still see this. Oh, there

02:27:19 - 02:27:29 | Speaker 1:

you are. Yeah. Okay. Text her here. 248 says that they 100% believe he's in a relationship with the woman he sent the flowers

02:27:29 - 02:27:31 | Speaker 3:

to. Wow, 100%. So

02:27:31 - 02:27:40 | Speaker 1:

I don't know where you're getting that from. You got a call in person. 616. 616? Oh, here it is. Jason, is this 616? What did you want to say, Jason?

02:27:42 - 02:27:51 | Speaker 2:

I was just going to say that just because the area code says Atlanta doesn't mean they don't live locally. For sure. I mean, a lot of people have their old... I actually have an Atlanta number

02:27:51 - 02:28:17 | Speaker 1:

and I live here. So, Jason, let me ask you this question just so that you can speculate with us on this, because we're all kind of trying to figure this one out. He's having a child with another person do you feel like he sounded like he was in a relationship with this person other than just having the baby no no i don't think he but i mean having a baby is kind of a big deal

02:28:17 - 02:28:24 | Speaker 2:

right so he's gonna have he's gonna have to be in a relationship with her regardless yeah i mean

02:28:24 - 02:28:52 | Speaker 1:

it is definitely a shocker to a wife to find that out that uh your husband is having a child with another woman which i could not imagine yeah more of a side girl kind of thing i couldn't imagine what that must be like like i could not imagine knowing that your spouse is cheating but also knowing that they got them pregnant and what that must be like somebody needs to tell me if you've lived through that how do you get through it what's up jordan how you doing

02:28:52 - 02:29:17 | Speaker 3:

so i'm wondering if britney's her real name at all because when someone asks me if it's jordan i don't immediately hang up the phone it's kind of weird so you what do you explain that a little bit more jordan so so you said when you called her someone answered and you asked for britney

02:29:17 - 02:29:35 | Speaker 1:

right away yes we called the yeah oh you're calling so you're talking about when we so we called up we said yeah so you think maybe that's her not not her real name i'm i think i think because it happened well after we uh uh did the initial call i think he texted her and said don't

02:29:35 - 02:29:42 | Speaker 3:

talk oh god i think he did it like right away no it was it took a little bit of time because we had

02:29:42 - 02:29:52 | Speaker 1:

to, you know, get through trying to figure out all the legal stuff. But what's up, Toya? Hi. Hey, y'all.

02:29:52 - 02:29:55 | Speaker 3:

My favorite people in the morning. There's my favorite Toya.

02:29:55 - 02:29:56 | Speaker 1:

What's going on?

02:29:57 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 3:

Hey, let me tell you what he did. He spent the block.

02:30:00 - 02:30:28 | Speaker 5:

didn't he Kev? He spent the block. That's what he did. He spent, explain for us, uh, uh, non spend the block folk here. Okay. So meaning it was somebody he dealt with before in his past relationship, whatever it was. Okay. That makes sense. They broke up and then he circled back to get some of the good, good, and then got her pregnant. He spent the block. He spent the block. But, Mojo, can I share a quick story? Do you have time?

02:30:28 - 02:30:29 | Speaker 8:

I do. I have time.

02:30:30 - 02:30:58 | Speaker 5:

Okay. So this was some years ago. I was dating a guy. We broke up. He got in a relationship with somebody else, right? I'm telling my business. They broke up. Me and him spent the block. He found out the other girl was pregnant, so he got back with her. Then six months later, he found out the girl who he was seeing between me and her got pregnant. So he got two kids. That's like three months apart. But it skidded me. It skidded me. It was worth sitting in the black.

02:30:58 - 02:31:00 | Speaker 8:

Wow, you got lucky on that. Okay. You got lucky. Yeah.

02:31:01 - 02:31:03 | Speaker 5:

So it happens. But you know, I love y'all.

02:31:03 - 02:31:10 | Speaker 8:

We love you, Toya. Thank you for the call. Appreciate it. You too. Initial K wants to voice this guy's, their voice. What's going on, K?

02:31:13 - 02:31:17 | Speaker 1:

My husband has done this twice.

02:31:18 - 02:31:20 | Speaker 8:

He's gotten two other women pregnant?

02:31:21 - 02:31:37 | Speaker 1:

Yes. we are been separated the last two years but we've been married 38 years oh my gosh how did you find out about these other women well the first one she the woman told me okay and she

02:31:37 - 02:31:43 | Speaker 2:

was already pregnant like pregnant or had the baby and she didn't want me in the child's life

02:31:43 - 02:31:54 | Speaker 1:

so we didn't know the child till she was 12 and um i then i took over raising her at that time How did she contact you?

02:31:56 - 02:32:01 | Speaker 7:

What's that? How did she contact you to say, here's your husband's daughter?

02:32:02 - 02:32:10 | Speaker 1:

This was 23 years ago, the first one. So it was over when you left a message on your home phone. Oh, wow.

02:32:11 - 02:32:11 | Speaker 8:

Wow.

02:32:12 - 02:32:14 | Speaker 1:

What happened the second time?

02:32:14 - 02:32:15 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, tell us about that one.

02:32:15 - 02:32:20 | Speaker 1:

Well, this one was a young girl, 33 years younger than him.

02:32:20 - 02:32:23 | Speaker 8:

Where's he meeting these girls at?

02:32:24 - 02:32:32 | Speaker 1:

His profession What does he do? Fire Firefighter Yep

02:32:32 - 02:32:37 | Speaker 8:

Using their holes on them And how did you find out about them having a baby?

02:32:39 - 02:32:46 | Speaker 1:

The second one Neither my kids or my stuff Was up two days before she was going to have the baby He hid it that long

02:32:46 - 02:32:53 | Speaker 8:

Wow i don't know how he takes care of these people and the babies does he pay for that uh his child

02:32:53 - 02:32:58 | Speaker 1:

supports well that's why he moved in with the young girl because you won't have to pay child

02:32:58 - 02:33:03 | Speaker 8:

support oh my god so you guys are not together but you're together you have not officially

02:33:03 - 02:33:12 | Speaker 1:

divorced i well i filed for divorce but he won't sign oh wow that's crazy what happens in that

02:33:12 - 02:33:17 | Speaker 2:

situation you want to get divorced but he refuses to sign like is there a period that you wait before it finally can happen.

02:33:18 - 02:33:19 | Speaker 8:

That's crazy. Wow.

02:33:19 - 02:33:21 | Speaker 7:

That is crazy.

02:33:21 - 02:33:28 | Speaker 8:

That's nuts that the courts won't make it happen. It's like sensibility, right? Kristen or Kirsten, what's up?

02:33:29 - 02:34:09 | Speaker 6:

02:34:09 - 02:34:25 | Speaker 8:

No, so it's a similar kind of situation where they find out that there's not only another woman in the relationship, but another woman that's having a baby. What kind of lying stuff did that one? Hopefully not like an autographed Barry Sanders jersey.

02:34:25 - 02:34:28 | Speaker 2:

I'm surprised that didn't go viral and we didn't see it or something.

02:34:29 - 02:34:35 | Speaker 8:

Stephanie wants to bring up the text message that was unsent. What did you want to say about that?

02:34:35 - 02:34:42 | Speaker 4:

i was just wondering he said he couldn't stay over anymore so that insinuates that he was

02:34:42 - 02:34:52 | Speaker 8:

staying over so what happened with that well she said that he traveled for work and that's where he probably was traveling he wasn't traveling for work at all he was traveling to go see this girl

02:34:52 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 4:

you know oh so yeah from out of town yeah exactly just just a bad situation

02:34:59 - 02:35:00 | Speaker 8:

Amen.

02:35:00 - 02:35:08 | Speaker 5:

And we will keep you up to date on this if we get any more on the War of the Roses. This is the home of War of the Roses.

02:35:08 - 02:35:11 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:36:40 - 02:37:00 | Speaker 5:

All right, Shannon, with what is trending in the Dirty on the 30, I left the studio to go pee, and the studio smells great. The hallways, you can smell the smoke. Like, the smoke is literally seeping through the doorways or the air system. But we're safe, it seems like, in this office here, or this studio. I'm not leaving.

02:37:01 - 02:37:15 | Speaker 3:

We are? I'm peeing if I have to pee. I can actually start to smell it in here, but we are under an air quality alert. We're in the zone of, like, 500, which is very hazardous. But this is from these Canadian and Minnesota wildfires, and it's just really coming our way.

02:37:15 - 02:37:37 | Speaker 4:

This morning, extreme and historic weather conditions putting millions of Americans at risk with dangerous smoke from Canadian wildfires now blanketing the Midwest and Northeast and Central Texas in the midst of a life-threatening flood event. First in the north, water bombers and helicopters now deploying to fight more than 180 wildfires in Canada.

02:37:37 - 02:37:39 | Speaker 1:

They're encased in flames now.

02:37:39 - 02:37:49 | Speaker 4:

Flames surrounding this freight train, the crew managing to escape. smoke from the fires turning the sky orange from Toronto to Niagara Falls all the way east to

02:37:49 - 02:37:55 | Speaker 2:

Boston where the sky looked apocalyptic. Breathing's a little bit more strained than normal. I felt a

02:37:55 - 02:38:05 | Speaker 4:

little bit in my lungs like a little burn. In the upper Midwest this bridge in Michigan nearly invisible smoke also spreading from fires burning in Minnesota Superior National Forest. One

02:38:05 - 02:38:19 | Speaker 2:

official warns some fires there could burn for months. Odds are these fires will be here until it snows. So there will be some fire on the ground in some form or fashion along with smoke

02:38:19 - 02:38:31 | Speaker 4:

until it snows. This map showing the spread of the smoke. Air quality alerts now issued across more than a dozen states. Breathing that smoke is a risk for sensitive groups.

02:38:31 - 02:38:36 | Speaker 3:

They might experience more cough, tightness in the chest. They might experience more wheezing,

02:38:36 - 02:38:48 | Speaker 4:

difficulty breathing. Coupled with the high temperatures from the heat wave, officials are warning people to limit time outdoors wow man yeah yeah is this gonna happen

02:38:48 - 02:38:53 | Speaker 5:

every single year it seems like it does doesn't it this is the worst of it all i was gonna say

02:38:53 - 02:38:59 | Speaker 3:

i've never had it this bad i've i don't remember it ever being this bad no no this one is uh uh

02:38:59 - 02:39:29 | Speaker 5:

much thicker smellier like before it would just be a haze and it would obviously not be comfortable for you and Kev who have some lung issues. It's called asthma? Yes. Some lung issues. The National Asthma Association says you have lung issues. That was it, sir. Yes. So with you guys, you people with your lung stuff, honestly, I feel like I'm feeling it too right now. Yeah. That's your head, bro. Literally.

02:39:31 - 02:39:35 | Speaker 3:

That big thing on your head. Let me see it. Has it gone down?

02:39:35 - 02:39:36 | Unknown:

I don't know.

02:39:36 - 02:39:36 | Speaker 3:

No.

02:39:36 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 5:

I think it has less definition, but it's still there, though. I have a very chiseled chin, though, right? It's a very nice chiseled chin. That's a nice chin. I took, like, 18 selfies of myself. He did. I was just texting with my friend Cabot, and he's playing in a golf tournament this weekend. And I said to him, you know, I go, yeah, you got the heat, but you're also going to have this smoke. And he goes, oh, he goes, I just looked outside. It looks as.

02:40:00 - 02:40:11 | Speaker 6:

a little cloudy or hazy it's funny i don't think there are people that think no until you go outside what it is it's a man you smell the smoke it does look like it's just a foggy afternoon yeah oh yeah

02:40:11 - 02:40:17 | Speaker 3:

steph curry on good morning america earlier today talking about the possibility of lebron joining

02:40:17 - 02:40:32 | Speaker 7:

the golden state warriors while we've got you here let's talk a little bit about lebron there's no doubt that you guys are have something special together um and you went on a podcast and you kind of like made a pitch maybe to sway his direction from what i've heard what's the pitch

02:40:32 - 02:41:11 | Speaker 8:

well the debate we we know how to win uh it's beautiful weather great golf i know he's uh he's under that but like you said we've the usa um experience that we had the battles that we had over the years um we just know how to how to play basketball and i think that he would enjoy You know, just the idea of what it means to finish your career the right way. He knows what he wants, and eventually he'll make that decision. It's totally up to him. But we're having fun with it knowing that he's got his pick of the entire league, like wherever he wants to go, to be honest. I don't know.

02:41:11 - 02:41:16 | Speaker 7:

That was a good pitch. Did you hear anything? Is there anything we should know?

02:41:16 - 02:41:22 | Speaker 8:

I came here to break some. No. We'll let him take care of that for sure.

02:41:22 - 02:41:28 | Speaker 6:

All right, put money down. Or not, you don't have to put money down, but let's each pick a team. Who will he go to? Zach?

02:41:29 - 02:41:35 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, probably the Warriors. You think so? Yeah. All right. Kev? I'm going to pick where I want him to go.

02:41:35 - 02:41:35 | Speaker 6:

Okay.

02:41:35 - 02:41:36 | Speaker 5:

I'll just say Philadelphia.

02:41:37 - 02:41:38 | Speaker 6:

Ooh, Shannon.

02:41:39 - 02:41:43 | Speaker 3:

I think I kind of love this story about him going back to Cleveland.

02:41:43 - 02:41:44 | Speaker 6:

Okay, Anna?

02:41:44 - 02:41:45 | Speaker 2:

Me too. I'm with Shannon.

02:41:45 - 02:41:46 | Speaker 6:

All right, Lydia?

02:41:47 - 02:41:48 | Speaker 2:

Do I really care?

02:41:48 - 02:41:49 | Speaker 6:

Okay.

02:41:49 - 02:41:52 | Speaker 2:

I don't care, but that would be cool for him to go back to Cleveland, I guess.

02:41:52 - 02:41:54 | Speaker 6:

Okay, what about you, Bianca?

02:41:54 - 02:41:56 | Speaker 2:

I'm telling you, he's going to the Pistons, baby.

02:41:56 - 02:42:04 | Speaker 6:

Oh, look at that. I'm going to go with Zach. I'm saying Golden State. I think that Steph was so coy in how he was answering that.

02:42:04 - 02:42:17 | Speaker 5:

I just watched highlights from the gold medal game versus France and the semifinal game versus Serbia from the 2024 Olympics. Great game. Chemistry on the court was chef's kiss, man.

02:42:17 - 02:42:21 | Speaker 6:

It was beautiful to see those guys out there. They do need, they got to get rid of Jimmy Butler. Jimmy Buckets. Yeah.

02:42:21 - 02:42:27 | Speaker 5:

He won't be back until next year anyway. Get rid of him. That's a large contract, though.

02:42:27 - 02:42:39 | Speaker 6:

If they bring in some other piece, there is a very good chance that that team's going to be interesting. Like maybe Jalen Duren. Could they actually make a trade with the Pistons and bring Jalen Duren in?

02:42:39 - 02:42:42 | Speaker 5:

I don't know who he would want from that team. He's very unhappy, sources say.

02:42:42 - 02:43:48 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Utah's Division of Child and Family Services has filed a petition asking a court to find secret lives of Mormon wives and Bachelorette star Taylor Frankie Paul's three children are abused, neglected and dependent and order protective supervision of all of them. That petition was filed this week, and it would ask the court to basically take jurisdiction over Taylor's children with her ex-husband, Tate Paul, and the one son she shares with her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. Longtime celebrity bodyguard, Mason Haynes, you probably best know him for his work with the Kardashians. He was with them forever and ever, has died at the very young age of 52. And according to a GoFundMe launched by his family, he died on the 4th of July in a tragic road traffic accident, leaves behind a wife, daughter and son. And I'm playing this again because it's so dang funny. 75 year old Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer talking on the Senate floor about the war in Iran and rips a fart during his speech.

02:43:48 - 02:43:57 | Speaker 4:

Complete investigation that's independent. Now on Iran and the NDAA, when all the Trump administration...

02:43:57 - 02:44:01 | Speaker 3:

He laughs. He laughs at his own heart.

02:44:02 - 02:44:07 | Speaker 6:

It sounds like Chuck Schumer and Kev have the same digestive issues.

02:44:07 - 02:44:12 | Speaker 3:

02:46:40 - 02:46:53 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to do trending news today and I was just gathering my stories together. And while I was gathering together, one of the stories I want to do is the best nude beaches in the U.S.

02:46:53 - 02:46:55 | Speaker 5:

Didn't even know we had them here.

02:46:55 - 02:46:57 | Speaker 3:

And the closest to us.

02:46:58 - 02:46:58 | Speaker 5:

Is it close?

02:46:59 - 02:47:19 | Speaker 3:

We'll tell you. I'll do that with the trending news at the end of the show. If I have time. I want to get to everything that we have here. And then, of course, I want to make sure that we don't piss off any of the listeners that get very upset when we are not on time with things. We learned that a lot of people get very, very upset when I'm running behind.

02:47:20 - 02:47:24 | Speaker 4:

Mojo, running late again, buddy. This cranky texture is going to be even more pissed.

02:47:24 - 02:47:43 | Speaker 5:

It's a shame and very frustrating how behind the show runs. If Mojo states War of the Roses will be at 740, that's when it should be aired. I wait to hear it before jumping in the shower, only to find out at 7.43 that I still have to hear Dirty on the 30 and a bunch of other banter.

02:47:44 - 02:47:47 | Speaker 3:

Blah, blah, blah, blah. Who uses the word banter? Banter.

02:47:48 - 02:47:54 | Speaker 2:

It's also my favorite when people will text or, like, comment, shame on you.

02:47:54 - 02:47:55 | Speaker 3:

Shame on you. Shame on you.

02:47:55 - 02:47:56 | Speaker 5:

Kind of shows their age.

02:47:57 - 02:48:00 | Speaker 3:

Shame on you. I don't know. Be better, Mojo.

02:48:00 - 02:48:02 | Speaker 5:

I know Gen Z is saying shame on you.

02:48:02 - 02:48:04 | Speaker 3:

No, it's...

02:48:04 - 02:48:06 | Speaker 5:

It's be better, do better, and shame on you.

02:48:06 - 02:48:43 | Speaker 3:

To me, it shows their age. I was going to say, it's usually a white woman. Yeah, middle age. I don't know how I'd say it. It's usually a white woman that's complaining about stuff like that. All right. No offense, Shannon. No offense to her. You're not that kind of a white woman on that one. All right. It's Mojo in the Morning Show. So yesterday, I got to hang out with Tony Travato, who is our boss. You hear us talk about Tony all the time, I'm sure, right? You know who he is.

02:48:43 - 02:48:44 | Speaker 5:

Best boss ever.

02:48:44 - 02:49:02 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, really good boss. You talk to the PD. Program director. Really good guy. And we got to take out Susan Schramm, who Susan is retired from iHeart. She, some time ago, I don't know, was like a year or so or two years ago. I think it was two years ago.

02:49:02 - 02:49:03 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I never met her.

02:49:04 - 02:49:12 | Speaker 3:

Two years ago, she retired, but then stayed on and worked for, like, months. And honestly, she stayed on to work with us and our show and our station.

02:49:12 - 02:49:14 | Speaker 2:

She scheduled our commercials, among other things.

02:49:14 - 02:49:40 | Speaker 3:

And I learned yesterday, I think the company basically said, all right, we've got to move. And she's got to move on. And I'll be honest with you, I'm pissed. Because I'll tell you this, I think Susan would work for a nominal amount. I don't think the money that she was making meant anything other than she got to, like, hang with us. And she was so good at what she did. So I love Susan. We took her to lunch, got to hang out yesterday at Big Tommy's.

02:49:40 - 02:49:42 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God, blast from the past.

02:49:42 - 02:50:00 | Speaker 3:

So that was the restaurant that we used to all frequent when we lived and worked out in the Novi area. And we had fun. Tony even brought back carrot cake to everybody here at the station. I guess that Crystal was very excited about that. so it was cool so you know

02:50:00 - 02:50:50 | Speaker 2:

don't like carrot cake their carrot cake is like yeah carrot cake spectacular carrot cake is another thing for you white women is carrot cake carrot cake is actually one of those things to me i just like the frosting i'm not big on anything else it's like a cream cheese like frosting so let me get to the topic that i want to bring up so tony says to to susan he goes so how is mabel or whatever her dog her dog's name is i don't know don't don't be upset with me susan i love you i don't know your you know dog's names although you know whatever so and she goes oh he's dead he died and i'm like oh and tony felt like crap he died last labor day so susan had uh to put mabel or whatever what was what's the dog's name uh lydia isn't it something like mabel or whatever it's

02:50:50 - 02:50:56 | Speaker 4:

mabel it is mabel i was right it is mabel you're right wait that's a really cute name so had to

02:50:56 - 02:51:20 | Speaker 2:

put her boston terrier down yeah then tony gets into a conversation with uh susan about will you ever get another dog and susan says no i want to travel the world i'm you know not wanting to be tied down and she says and i don't have anybody to the dog sit well next thing you know what does Tony Travato say he'll do? I will dog sit. He said he would dog

02:51:20 - 02:51:22 | Speaker 4:

sit. This doesn't surprise me. The man does it all.

02:51:22 - 02:51:27 | Speaker 2:

He said, nah, he felt bad for being dead. That was the first reflex he had.

02:51:27 - 02:51:28 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I'll watch him.

02:51:29 - 02:52:34 | Speaker 2:

But he was honestly being serious because I guess that's his dog breed too. He loves that dog. So Tony's like, we will watch your dog anytime that you go out of town. We'll take care of this. And I'm sitting there the whole time biting my tongue and thinking what Kev thought, number one, that Tony He felt like he stepped in to Mabel's poopy. And then number two, don't ever pet sit for anyone. All right? I'm going to say this to you. Especially, and I don't know why I'm yelling. It's like I'm yelling because I think more people will hear me say this. It's a PSA. Or don't pet sit for coworkers. Because I pet sit years ago for our old Tony Travato. Michael McCoy. Michael used to be in the Tony Travato position. You never met him. Guy was, he was a mediocre programmer, but a nice guy, okay? He was, you know, he was a nice guy, but so Mike asked me and Chelsea and our boys if we would pet sit for his exotic fish. Exotic? Yes.

02:52:34 - 02:52:35 | Speaker 4:

God, do I remember this.

02:52:35 - 02:52:36 | Speaker 2:

Do you remember this story?

02:52:37 - 02:52:38 | Speaker 4:

What does this work? Because there's more to the story.

02:52:39 - 02:52:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, the story gets crazy. Does the fish get transported to your house, or do you have to go to his house? He brings over a ginormous fish tank to my house, because I didn't live close to him. I lived in West Bloomfield. He lived in Brighton.

02:52:52 - 02:52:58 | Speaker 3:

Which is so wild to me, because how do you even do that? That's so heavy. That's a lot of work, and tubes, and plugs.

02:52:58 - 02:53:35 | Speaker 2:

It was crazy, and he's gone for a week, so we had seven days of watching these fish, and honestly, you know what I did when I was watching the fish? Watching to make sure they weren't floating, because I thought they were going to die. Then he comes back after his vacation, and it's great. Like, first day back, I'm like, oh, great, Mike. Hey, it's good to see you. You know, what's going on? He goes, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, you're doing great. Doesn't bring up the fish at all. So I finally say to him, I go, hey, when are you thinking about coming over to get, oh, man, I'm so sorry. We got something going on with the kids' school right after. I don't think I can get to it. Can you keep it for another day? Then another day. Then another day.

02:53:35 - 02:53:37 | Speaker 4:

Then another day and another and another and another.

02:53:37 - 02:53:55 | Speaker 2:

It got to a point where Michael McCoy was such an absentee parent, I had to call FBS. I had to find an organization that would go after Mike because he wasn't being nice to his fish.

02:53:55 - 02:53:58 | Speaker 4:

Didn't you have those fish for like three weeks or something?

02:53:58 - 02:53:59 | Speaker 2:

Shannon, I don't think it was.

02:53:59 - 02:54:00 | Speaker 4:

It was like two and a half weeks.

02:54:00 - 02:54:02 | Speaker 2:

It was two and a half at least. It was. Two and a half weeks.

02:54:02 - 02:54:06 | Speaker 4:

Because I remember every day you were like, still have the fish.

02:54:06 - 02:54:50 | Speaker 2:

Honestly, no. Thank God. I didn't clean it. Actually, I stopped feeding him. I was going to ask you, did he give you enough food? He gave me, and that should have been my first indication. He comes over, and he's got so much food, and I'm thinking to myself, why do I? So has anybody ever pet-sipped for somebody only to have them never pick up their pet? Or have you ever pet-sipped for somebody, like Tony's talking about doing for Susan, and then the dog dies, or God forbid? That's what I want to hear. Honestly? To me, I hate to say this, I love, love, love helping friends. I would much rather babysit and have them bring their children over than bring over their animals.

02:54:50 - 02:54:50 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

02:54:52 - 02:55:00 | Speaker 2:

Especially you. I would take your kids over your dogs. After hearing your stories about your dogs.

02:55:00 - 02:55:01 | Speaker 3:

It's so much easier than the dogs.

02:55:01 - 02:55:13 | Speaker 1:

Between Charlie being on his last leg to Bo being an a-hole and then Wes's dog. Willow is just a bully. Willow is like a miracle dog.

02:55:14 - 02:55:20 | Speaker 2:

I don't like changing baby diapers, but alone a dog. It's way easier. Oh, it is? Yeah, because there's just beef.

02:55:20 - 02:55:42 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. We've had people that have, like Angel's offered to watch Henry and Louis for us. I'd never do that to her. I would. Angel loves dogs. I wouldn't do it because her dogs are so big they'd eat my dogs. Oh, God. She'd probably like that. I thought that's why you would like it then. She would not. You could just blame it on Angel. She would not know what to do. She would be like if the dogs got mauled or something. Kristen, what's going on?

02:55:43 - 02:55:55 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Mojo. So my husband Josh and I are two teachers. We have a very senior sweet Labrador dog named Bo. Would you be able to watch him while we go out of town with my family in August?

02:55:55 - 02:55:58 | Speaker 1:

Don't even joke with me. Don't even.

02:55:59 - 02:56:06 | Speaker 4:

We also have three kids. We have two little ones and an older one. So you can babysit for the children, too.

02:56:07 - 02:56:37 | Speaker 1:

Listen, I'm not kidding you. I say this to you. Chelsea's this way, too, especially with babies. Chelsea and I have no problem with children. We love children. They can come over. They can destroy the house. They can do whatever they want. If a dog comes over to my house and pees somewhere, I will literally be so pissed off. And this has nothing to do with me being a bad dog person. I love dogs. I don't want to be responsible. I think kids aren't going to die, but dogs or cats or fish could potentially die.

02:56:37 - 02:56:44 | Speaker 4:

That's what we joke. We joke about our yard. Nobody calls CPS when your yard looks a mess. We just keep the kids alive, right?

02:56:44 - 02:56:47 | Speaker 1:

Right. Just make sure that the kids are okay. It's nice talking to you, Kristen.

02:56:48 - 02:56:49 | Speaker 4:

That's a hard no.

02:56:49 - 02:56:50 | Speaker 1:

That's a very hard no.

02:56:51 - 02:56:54 | Speaker 4:

She was so hopeful. Thanks, guys. Have a good week.

02:56:54 - 02:56:57 | Speaker 1:

We appreciate you so much. What's up, Dennis? How you doing?

02:56:58 - 02:57:39 | Speaker 3:

Hey, good morning, guys. Morning. Yeah, so I'm actually allergic to dogs, but somebody asked me the dog's thing. I was like, yeah, I'll just buy some Zertag. And I go pick up the dog, and she's like, oh, by the way, she started her period. So I'm like, okay. Like, I've never dealt with this. Yeah, I had to clean the seats. It wasn't, like, crazy, but I was just, like, something I never dealt with. And then I get the dog to the house, and I put some water out and some food. The next morning, I wake up, and the dog threw up, like, three times. I was like, oh, my goodness. Yeah, it was a wild time.

02:57:39 - 02:57:59 | Speaker 1:

I'll never forget. I would drive kids sometimes to events and things like that that are, like, friends of my kids. I'll never forget when one of my son's friends puked in my car because he got car sick. There was something that was so, like, in me going, it's not even my kid. Right. Absolutely. Yeah.

02:58:00 - 02:58:08 | Speaker 3:

It is different. Like, puke is puke, but when it's your kids, like, you'll stick your hands in it, and it's not as disgusting as if it's someone else's child.

02:58:09 - 02:58:30 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Mystery? Hi. What's going on? I got you in the wrong line here. Mystery, what's going on? hello mystery mystery are you there mystery is that your name or no i know that yeah because we talked to mystery before mystery mystery oh there you go you had us muted all right what's

02:58:30 - 02:58:53 | Speaker 6:

going on uh yeah so uh my mother-in-law she met somebody on facebook i don't know what it was but they wanted her to watch her dog for them and she had it for a couple weeks and then now she's had the dog for over a year no way she didn't know the person i don't think she knew them they um maybe she was talking to them for a little while or something she's older so i don't know maybe

02:58:53 - 02:58:58 | Speaker 3:

it was one of her friends or something but she had died for a year now so that's her dog and now

02:58:58 - 02:59:08 | Speaker 6:

what's crazy yeah she's had the dog for over a year it's basically hers now um we let her watch one of our dogs while we were in between places and it got our dog pregnant oh gosh

02:59:08 - 02:59:11 | Speaker 2:

That's crazy

02:59:11 - 02:59:13 | Speaker 4:

Kev, didn't you have a dog like that?

02:59:13 - 02:59:37 | Speaker 2:

Sheba was a hoe Sheba was bleeding too She came back about seven dogs behind her My mama said to the Humane Society You go She had a whole gang of them behind her Her vagina was bleeding I'm like, oh my god, Sheba My mama was like, she can't get in the car It's blood What's up, Heather? Sheba was nasty

02:59:37 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 5:

Yes, hi. I actually had to where I was, I responded to someone who was looking for a pet setter for their Chinese cat. And I went and picked it up from this lady's house. And this lady, she had said that she was babysitting the cat, but she had recently had some medical health conditions come in, come down and couldn't watch the cat no longer.

03:00:00 - 03:00:29 | Speaker 2:

So the guy was, you know, the guy's name was Steve. He was like, you know, go pick up the cat from Margaret's and I will, you know, let you know as soon as I get settled in. I said, okay. After a year of this man not picking up his cat, not paying for food, nothing. This cat was evil. It was fighting with my cats. I finally just rehomed it, founded a new home. And only to have like six months later to get sued. Are you kidding me?

03:00:29 - 03:00:30 | Speaker 5:

What did he sue you for?

03:00:31 - 03:00:34 | Speaker 2:

I had to go to a small claims court for the value of his cat.

03:00:35 - 03:00:39 | Speaker 5:

You told him that you wanted to give it back to him. Why would he?

03:00:39 - 03:00:46 | Speaker 2:

He wouldn't pick it up. And then the lady that I picked it up from then contacted me and said that she had it for two years.

03:00:47 - 03:00:51 | Speaker 5:

Unbelievable. And then he sued you for thinking that you wanted the cat?

03:00:51 - 03:01:26 | Speaker 2:

For the value of a Siamese cat, whatever value he claimed it was. Did you win? um i won but i tried to counter sue him for boarding expenses and i didn't win either because there was no contract so um i mean it was like it was insane he was somebody that wanted a purebred animal but was never intending on owning it and he just found suckers like me to take the cat and keep the cat for it i miss this how did you meet this guy there was an ad there was an ad online of this there's your problem looking for a pet sitter

03:01:26 - 03:01:32 | Speaker 5:

I mean that the mystery whose mom is like randomly talking to people on Facebook or you going on ads

03:01:32 - 03:01:43 | Speaker 2:

that's why you don't do that stuff yeah yeah this was before Facebook this was before Facebook it was like you know the stay-at-home mom I had cats I was like oh sure I can babysit yeah you need you

03:01:43 - 03:01:47 | Speaker 5:

got it you got enough on your hands you don't need to be babysitting any or dog pet sitting cat

03:01:47 - 03:02:16 | Speaker 1:

sitting uh tony what's up tony hey mojo i was calling because it wasn't my dog but i was at the park with my dog and this lady she was off in the distance and i kept she kept screaming for this dog so i asked her what's going on and found out she lost the dog oh and i started helping her then that she started telling me the dog wasn't her she was dog sitting first oh no so she was

03:02:16 - 03:02:17 | Speaker 5:

Panicking. They ran away.

03:02:19 - 03:02:32 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that dog. And I went back the next day, and she ended up being there still looking for the dog. No. Oh, goodness. That dog is gone. Yeah, but they never found a dog. That's so sad.

03:02:32 - 03:02:41 | Speaker 5:

It's funny, too, because the dog probably didn't recognize her, so it wasn't coming to her. Dave wants to say something to Kev before we wrap up. What's up, Dave?

03:02:42 - 03:02:46 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Kevin usually keeps his dogs outside, doesn't he?

03:02:46 - 03:03:21 | Speaker 4:

I don't have dogs. But we did back in the day after she came back all whorish. What is her name again? Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba. Sheba was not. She had no type. They were sniffing. She was going.

03:03:21 - 03:03:22 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

03:03:23 - 03:03:39 | Speaker 3:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Mesquite Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. An iHeart radio station. Guaranteed human. Real stories. Real laughs. Real dog. Mojo in the morning. Live.

03:03:40 - 03:03:58 | Speaker 5:

A correction to the last conversation that we had. But Susan Schramm's dog that passed R.I.P. was Maisie, as in Maize and Blue. She's a big Michigan fan. I like the name Mabel, too. So, not Mabel, but it's Maisie.

03:03:58 - 03:04:05 | Speaker 2:

Mabel should be her new dog's name that Tony's going to watch. We have the whole I Heart staff running in here. Cody, Tony, everyone's like, Lydia, you got the name wrong. It's not Mabel.

03:04:05 - 03:04:10 | Speaker 5:

It's Maisie. So, Maisie Schramm, Susan Schramm's beloved dog.

03:04:10 - 03:04:17 | Speaker 4:

Everybody knows Maisie. I'm not running in your studio talking about you got it wrong.

03:04:18 - 03:04:26 | Speaker 5:

It's so funny. We have a correction we have to do. All right, Mojo in the morning. Kev let him drive, and he got into an accident?

03:04:26 - 03:04:59 | Speaker 4:

No, he didn't get in an accident. So on this movie that we're shooting, there's a scene where they ask if they can use my truck because it's like a part where we get pulled over. And initially, you know, I'm in a driver's seat, and then the assistant director comes up. I was like, no, no, no, no, no, no. He's supposed to be in the passenger seat. And in the scene, there's like a 16-year-old kid that's like playing my little brother. He's supposed to be the one driving. So we get over. I'm like, all right, yeah, it's cool. He can sit in the seat. Like, there's no big deal. And like, actually, we want to shoot it over here.

03:05:00 - 03:06:56 | Speaker 3:

I'm like, over where? And then they point down to the other side of the corner, which requires him to drive the vehicle around. And at first, I'm kind of like, you don't know this boy, first off. You ain't never seen him drive. This is your car. If anything happens, you obviously going to be liable for it. You should drive. And it's like the other part of my shoulder, like, it ain't that deep, bro. You're just going around the corner. So I'm like, hey, you could drive, right? i don't know why i was expecting him to say no of course he gonna say yeah he's like yeah i'm good like you got your license he's like yeah i'm good man as soon as this boy take off you can just feel the nerves in him like how he's sitting is nervous i'm nervous i'm clutching my pearls he hit the speed bump he like a little and that's another thing people who drive trucks for the first time it's a different experience in the car so it's not the same as whatever he pulled up in and it's not what I'm doing. So you can just tell from the passengers, I'm like, this guy is, like, super close to these other vehicles as we going down the street. So I'm like, hey, move over, like, scoot over a little bit. He's like, oh, okay. He's like, yeah, the truck is different. So we go down, hit a one-way. I'm like, just take the one-way because, like, nobody coming. So we go through the one-way, pull up the street. There's another large truck in the street and then two trash cans protruding out. And I'm like, this will look a little tight. He's like, yeah, it does. I'm like, no, you got it, though. Like, I know how to drive through it. I'm like, go ahead. You got it, though. When I say this boy hit both trash cans, I'm like, God, the side mirror fold back in. Oh, he hit it. I'm like, come on. He's like, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm like, just go. Just go at this point. It's a big truck. No damage or anything. But I'm like, bro, it was a little scrape, but you could, like, wipe it out a little bit, I think. So it wasn't no crazy. Does Stevie G know that this happened? He do not. I don't know, dude. They got signals in the mountains. I don't know. Oh, my God.

03:06:56 - 03:07:02 | Speaker 4:

That's the problem with letting somebody drive your car. You let somebody drive your car, and then they bring it back damaged, you know?

03:07:02 - 03:07:06 | Speaker 3:

I should have just went with the mind and said safety over anything else.

03:07:06 - 03:07:19 | Speaker 4:

I've let, like, friends drive my car for me, like, or say that, hey, can I drive this? I want to, you know, mine is just a Chevy Tahoe, and they'll get behind the wheel, and they'll change all my settings.

03:07:20 - 03:07:23 | Speaker 2:

So annoying. You know what I mean? Annoying. I have it such a certain way.

03:07:23 - 03:07:28 | Speaker 4:

I don't mind the mirrors and stuff. Okay, for safety purposes, that's okay. But you don't need to change settings.

03:07:28 - 03:07:29 | Speaker 2:

The seat.

03:07:30 - 03:07:40 | Speaker 4:

Oh, the worst is, and then they try to change the seat so that it's not one or two on my thing. They're like, oh, they take over two, and I'm like, that's Chelsea's. What are you doing?

03:07:41 - 03:07:48 | Speaker 3:

That's a safety thing, too, though. Yeah. Like, I need you to make sure that you have the right distance between your seat and the pedals and the wheel.

03:07:48 - 03:07:49 | Speaker 1:

Mine's all the way up.

03:07:50 - 03:07:50 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you, yeah.

03:07:50 - 03:08:10 | Speaker 1:

My friends and I took one of their parents' like suburbans because we just needed a bigger car to travel somewhere. And we didn't even hit anyone. We were at a stoplight and the person in front of us decided to reverse at the stoplights. They were over the line. They backed into us. So we all got in trouble for crashing the car. But like we didn't crash it.

03:08:12 - 03:08:20 | Speaker 4:

I hate to do this. I got to pee so bad. No pee, bro. Continue the topic. Zach's going to come in and run the board. I got to run and pee.

03:08:20 - 03:08:22 | Speaker 2:

What happened? I feel like this is a test.

03:08:22 - 03:08:47 | Speaker 4:

I know. I have to pee. I swear to you. All of a sudden, I'm like, I should have peed. Oh, man. Have you ever lent your car out or lent anything out and they broke it? It doesn't even have to be a car. It could be tools. It could be, you know, a tractor or whatever. I don't know what the hell. 844-MOJO-LIVE. You know the number. 844-665-6548. Yeah. Real quick, while we're waiting for calls to come in, Shannon's going to be out at Olga's today. And I'm going to go. Olga's.

03:08:47 - 03:10:00 | Speaker 2:

Olga's. Olga's. Okay. I am, and I'm very excited about this because I could eat Snackers, Olga's Snackers, all day long. But this is the brand new, it's a new concept from Olga's, and it's called Olga's Fresh. So it's in Troy. It's on Big Beaver. I'm going to be there from 1 until 3, and we're going to be doing all sorts of stuff. You get, like, a free, what's the orange drink called? The orange cream. Oh, my God. It's so, so good. You get a free one of those if you stop by. But you also get to check out the brand new Olga's Fresh menu, which looks amazing because it's like all of the regular Olga's sandwiches. But then they've got build your own bowls. They've got a great kids menu. They've got fresh new salads that you kind of like go down the line and add all of your own stuff. So the brand new Olga's Fresh. I'm going to be there today from 1 until 3. And it's right there on Big Beaver. I think the cross street is Rochester Road. So Big Beaver, Rochester Road in Troy. i have a question do they sell the snacker seasoning um that is a good i feel like they do i love it like i could put that thing on anything i don't know but if they do i'll get you some today and bring it tomorrow i know it's so dang good yeah so they've got all that stuff like they've got the olga

03:10:00 - 03:10:03 | Speaker 1:

and they've got, like, the snacker baskets

03:10:00 - 03:10:29 | Speaker 2:

Thank you.

03:10:03 - 03:10:09 | Speaker 1:

and, you know, all the spinach pie and the peasant soup and all that kind of stuff. Peasant soup? And they also have this. It's so dang good.

03:10:09 - 03:10:22 | Speaker 4:

They call it peasant soup? Never heard of that? No, clearly. It's so good. Everything there is freaking so good. Peasant soup? That sounds not okay. Olga's a bitch. Oh, my gosh.

03:10:23 - 03:10:24 | Speaker 3:

We love them.

03:10:24 - 03:10:26 | Speaker 1:

Please come hang out. It'll be great.

03:10:26 - 03:10:38 | Speaker 4:

It'll be great. Let's go to security guard Anthony You're talking about people who borrow stuff and they ruin it. What happened to you, Ant? Hello? Anthony.

03:10:38 - 03:10:39 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Anthony.

03:10:40 - 03:10:47 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what's going on, family? How y'all doing? Sounding good, man. Where are you? Your cell phone sounds a little weird.

03:10:48 - 03:11:01 | Speaker 6:

Okay, that's my bad. I had it on my Bluetooth because I'm at work right now. Okay, there we go. All right, so, Kev, I got a question for you. Okay. A question and a story. All right.

03:11:01 - 03:11:02 | Speaker 4:

Let's start with the question first.

03:11:03 - 03:11:08 | Speaker 6:

So you out here letting people drive? I mean, I'm going to just give your car a name for you. You out here letting people drive, Big Shirley?

03:11:09 - 03:11:20 | Speaker 4:

What? Listen, honestly, this is the first person that's ever driven a car outside of me. And it's, I would say, special circumstances, but I can guarantee you it ain't going to happen again after that.

03:11:20 - 03:11:35 | Speaker 6:

Okay, so look. Okay, so with that, so with that, did they compensate you since you're doing this movie for them? I mean, your vehicle was not a part of the script. Did they go ahead and script a few more dollars in? No, it ain't that deep.

03:11:35 - 03:11:41 | Speaker 1:

That's actually a very interesting point because they would have had to spend money to rent a vehicle for that scene.

03:11:42 - 03:11:52 | Speaker 2:

Everybody pulling it together to make it happen. What happens if you damage also the Airbnb that the movie is in? Like, do you guys have to pay that? Do the movie company pay for that?

03:11:52 - 03:12:03 | Speaker 4:

Low-key, I assume low-key some stuff that already got ruined, but that's neither here nor there. Was it the same guy that was driving your car? I done messed some stuff up, too. Oh, really?

03:12:03 - 03:12:03 | Speaker 2:

Oh, jeez.

03:12:04 - 03:12:09 | Speaker 4:

Clogged the toilets? He had a story, too, though, yeah. No, no, they had some, you know, like the little lights outside?

03:12:09 - 03:12:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

03:12:10 - 03:12:12 | Speaker 4:

Maybe they got kicked over or smashed. Oh, no.

03:12:12 - 03:12:27 | Speaker 2:

Who knows? Oh, no. Landscape lighting is a concept. By the way, I'm back from P.N. I was a whole, I had to go so bad. It smells horrible, too, by the way. Your pee or the smoke? What's up, Greg? What's going on?

03:12:29 - 03:13:01 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. I loaned my truck out to a good friend of mine, and she had it for four months. And it was, like, brand new when I gave it to her. I had to go to Akron, Ohio, and get it out of impound. It had two flat tires. The whole left side of the truck was wrecked. The front bumper fell off. And there was all kinds of dents and dings from all the construction work that she was doing that she wasn't supposed to be doing with my truck.

03:13:01 - 03:13:05 | Speaker 2:

She was using your car, your truck, to do construction work?

03:13:07 - 03:13:08 | Speaker 5:

Yes.

03:13:08 - 03:13:09 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

03:13:10 - 03:13:25 | Speaker 5:

And she also smoked. I'm not a smoker. And she trashed the inside of my truck. Oh, my God. He's so mad. Everything. Yeah, I was fuming. And I loaned her the truck. She said she had insurance. Come find out. She did not have insurance.

03:13:26 - 03:13:29 | Speaker 4:

Were you sleeping with her? No.

03:13:30 - 03:13:31 | Speaker 3:

You did nothing.

03:13:32 - 03:13:39 | Speaker 2:

I thought the same thing, too. I thought, for sure, this guy's doing her. He did, too, man. Poor Greg.

03:13:39 - 03:13:44 | Speaker 5:

No, I was in love with her, and I've known her for 20 years. That's why. There you go.

03:13:44 - 03:13:45 | Speaker 1:

There had to be something.

03:13:46 - 03:13:49 | Speaker 2:

Did you ever get a chance to do anything with her, like kiss?

03:13:51 - 03:13:52 | Speaker 5:

I kissed her, and that's about it.

03:13:53 - 03:14:01 | Speaker 2:

She was playing you, bro. Again, women. That's women. They'll steal your heart and ruin your truck. What's up, Justin?

03:14:03 - 03:14:04 | Speaker 7:

Hey, how are you guys?

03:14:04 - 03:14:06 | Speaker 2:

We're doing good. Good morning. Yeah. What's up?

03:14:08 - 03:14:59 | Speaker 7:

Good. So I work at Acorn Kitchen and Bath on Telegraph, and like maybe five years ago we had a car crash into our building like at like 60 miles an hour like this guy passed out he was he was huffing at the wheel and so he he got out of the car and starts to run and so we go and chase him down and turns out like the police apprehend him and then we find out this lady messages me on facebook and she says um she she just wanted information because she lent the truck to this guy, and her and her husband had just paid it off, and they had just taken the insurance off of the car. Oh, no. They were trying to, like, get information or, I think, to sue him maybe, but it was a total loss, and imagine, like, he was going to pick up his kids.

03:15:00 - 03:15:13 | Speaker 2:

thought huffing was probably better that day oh my god what's up yeah what is huffing huffing he was like uh like what basically whip it yes like that yeah like he's like taking like

03:15:13 - 03:15:17 | Speaker 3:

there's a little board clear and he's like breathing it in breathing in let me go get his

03:15:17 - 03:15:24 | Speaker 2:

key by the way i drive by acorn kitchen and bath all the time you guys been around for a long time That's a good business.

03:15:26 - 03:15:36 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, we've been there for 47 years. I'm the senior designer there. I've been there for 13. That's cool. Justin. We don't even advertise. We've been around a really long time.

03:15:36 - 03:15:44 | Speaker 2:

I know you don't necessarily probably need always to advertise, but you guys should look at doing something with iHeart because I got to tell you, you guys are a great business. We'd love to be able to talk more about you.

03:15:46 - 03:15:48 | Speaker 3:

I would love to do that. Absolutely.

03:15:49 - 03:16:29 | Speaker 2:

I'll let Lydia get you in touch with somebody. All right. It's Mojo in the Morning. Now we need a body shop for, I can't wait for your call, Steve Gabara. Well, he's going to probably call you now. Go enter the word new on MojoInTheMorning.com. N-E-W, new, and you have a chance to win $1,000 to pay your bills. New. Go enter it. Now, Shannon, you were mentioning just a little bit ago, you wonder if things are going to get canceled. I just got text that things are getting canceled right now.

03:16:29 - 03:16:29 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

03:16:30 - 03:17:52 | Speaker 2:

So I'd like you to call up and tell us, I'm going to do trending news next. What's getting canceled or what's getting restricted because of this hazy, smoky, crappy stuff that we got in the air right now? A lot of people are saying that there's things that are getting canceled right now, activities, but also a lot of businesses closing down because of it. Call us up, 844-MOJO-LIVE. We'll be back with Trending News and the last of the show next. Hazy and smelly outside? Sounds like the inside of Mojo's head, too. This is Mojo in the Morning. Hold on. Mojo in the Morning's top trending stories. All right, top trending stories. I want to get to some top trending stories here. The biggest story is this hazy, smoggy, smoky air that we have right now that has overtaken Ohio and Michigan. They're saying that the state of Michigan has the worst air in the country right now. that our air quality is the worst and it's going to only go further east from the fires that are in canada also minnesota has fires too now a lot of people you know have said okay you know i've dealt with stuff like this before but i've never dealt with the smell and i feel like the smell

03:17:52 - 03:17:58 | Speaker 4:

has gotten even worse as the morning has gone on it's actually come into the studio my throat is

03:17:58 - 03:18:20 | Speaker 2:

bothering you now yeah it's not it's not good downtown detroit seems like it's really bad but then friends of mine just sent me pictures from out in oakland county and a buddy of mine took a picture off of union lake and union lake michigan you can't even see the lake at all and he's right next to the lake taking the picture like it looks like one of those foggy mornings where you wake up

03:18:20 - 03:18:24 | Speaker 4:

and there's fog all over the place if you pinpoint lake orion is supposed to be the worst today

03:18:24 - 03:19:01 | Speaker 2:

Really? So there's a lot of things getting canceled. It just got a couple of texts here from some of the golf courses in the area. One of my friends just sent me this one. This is from Oakland University. So the Oakland University, they own, I think they have like two good, really great golf courses over there. Due to the air quality, the golf courses, practice facilities and other outdoor areas will be closed today. Any questions? Turn them into, obviously, the people there. I can't imagine that you're not going to have any issues with the kids' outdoor.

03:19:01 - 03:19:06 | Speaker 4:

Two of their activities got canceled, but then I haven't heard anything about one, so I'm like, there's no way.

03:19:06 - 03:19:14 | Speaker 1:

I feel like looking out for our own well-being, we should just stay inside. 500 whatever score that we have is terrible.

03:19:14 - 03:19:25 | Speaker 4:

I'm wondering if, I know there are a lot of concerts like John Mellencamp tonight, pie knob i wonder what how this is going to affect outdoor venues and stuff um there's a

03:19:25 - 03:19:59 | Speaker 2:

couple of viral stories that are viral you know visual stories that came out yesterday that i saw one of them shannon talked about earlier this morning that kansas city fire department that had to save a guy who was inside of the porta potty and when i mean inside not like just sitting there on the can he was inside of the can he got in the actual i don't understand why he gotta be a little person no i think he was i think he was like a decent sized guy how do you get in the toilet i don't know but why was he he he they claims that

03:20:00 - 03:20:29 | Speaker 4:

There was a story they claimed that he fell in there. Like he fell through the thing. There was an opening. I believe the guy was doing drugs or something and had to get inside the thing. But they had to cut him out of it. That's one video to look at. Here's another one. Did you hear about the U.S. Navy Blue Angels that now are being investigated? Because they actually flew too close to shore, causing people that were on the beach to actually have to go running. Beach chairs all sent flying. Here's Gio Beditas.

03:20:30 - 03:20:40 | Speaker 2:

This is the shocking moment the Navy Blue Angel fighter jet flies just feet over a packed Pensacola Beach during an air show this morning. The jet is dangerously low.

03:20:40 - 03:20:44 | Speaker 1:

I've been coming for 10 years and I've never seen a pass like that in my life.

03:20:44 - 03:21:19 | Speaker 2:

Watch again. One Blue Angel jet flies right above the water and seconds later, a second jet roaring over a stunned crowd. The incident coming just days after the military suspended eight Apache helicopter pilots for this flyover on a South Carolina beach. But just days later, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth reversing the punishment. Tonight, the Blue Angels tell ABC News they are conducting a safety review. And David, Beach flyovers by the Blue Angels in Pensacola are actually routine. They do it around air shows, but this one was extremely low, and that is very unusual, David.

03:21:19 - 03:21:20 | Speaker 4:

That's crazy, isn't it?

03:21:20 - 03:21:28 | Speaker 5:

You look fire, though. Like, obviously, it's extremely close and potentially dangerous, but, like, that's why you're there. You don't want to die, obviously, but...

03:21:28 - 03:21:37 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. I want it off in the distance. Did you see it? It's like going to a firework show and having the fireworks shooting at you. Yeah, but, eh. I wouldn't want that.

03:21:37 - 03:21:38 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that thing was fired. I didn't want that.

03:21:39 - 03:21:42 | Speaker 4:

Speaking of beaches, you want to know the best nude beaches in the U.S.?

03:21:42 - 03:21:43 | Speaker 5:

Yes.

03:21:43 - 03:23:23 | Speaker 4:

As rated by Hotels.com. I didn't realize that there were this many nude. Hotels.com. Yeah, I didn't even realize that there were this many nude beaches that are out there. What makes up the best nude beaches that are in the world? They say clothing optional, that there are certain areas where it's purely topless, and there's amenities including food and drink available for the people who are nude bathers. These beaches, by the way, are in places that you'll see like Hallover Beach Park, Miami Beach, Florida, Little Beach in Maui, Hawaii. Little Beach. Baker Beach in San Francisco, California, Gunnison Beach in Highlands, New Jersey. I didn't realize that New Jersey would have places like this, as well as places like the Collins Beach, Portland, Oregon, and Hippie Hollow. That sounds like a nude beach in Austin, Texas. They're all part of what are considered to be the best nude beaches, according to Hotel.com. It's kind of interesting. I have been only one place in my life where it was adult clothing optional. And it was a hotel that we went to. And I think it was in Hawaii when we went to Hawaii. And I wanted to go so bad, but we had the little kids. And I'm like, can I just like walk over there? And Chelsea's like, you're the pervert that just wants to walk. I just want to see what people are like, how they're acting.

03:23:23 - 03:23:33 | Speaker 3:

When we were in France last year for our honeymoon, like the south of France, people were just, and it wasn't even like designated nude beaches. They were just naked. Just walking around. Way more guys than girls. French.

03:23:34 - 03:23:39 | Speaker 4:

Really? I think the people that, like, the guys that do that thing, I think they're looking just to get their, you know.

03:23:40 - 03:23:46 | Speaker 5:

They weren't lookers, as Shani's granny used to say. No, no, you say growers, not showers.

03:23:46 - 03:23:46 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

03:23:47 - 03:23:59 | Speaker 5:

But I remember when I was younger, and I think I used to, like, stay up late and, like, watch the porn channels or when I used to go over to my grandpa house and really watch the porn channels. They used to advertise, I think it was in Jamaica, it was called Hedonism 3.

03:24:00 - 03:24:00 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

03:24:00 - 03:24:05 | Speaker 5:

They probably on 33, nah, but man, they used to have them beaches I used to be like, man, when I get older I can't hate to go

03:24:05 - 03:24:09 | Speaker 3:

to Hedonism 3. Would you go? Like, would you do it?

03:24:10 - 03:24:10 | Speaker 5:

Um,

03:24:11 - 03:24:14 | Speaker 3:

I don't know, maybe. After a few cocktails, let's go outside.

03:24:14 - 03:24:14 | Speaker 4:

Would you?

03:24:15 - 03:24:16 | Speaker 3:

Why you say it like that?

03:24:16 - 03:24:17 | Speaker 4:

I don't know.

03:24:17 - 03:24:18 | Speaker 3:

It is kind of freeing

03:24:18 - 03:24:21 | Speaker 4:

to just be naked. I'm not comfortable enough. Let's do it, guys.

03:24:21 - 03:24:23 | Speaker 3:

If there was nobody else that I knew.

03:24:24 - 03:24:25 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Mm-hmm.

03:24:25 - 03:24:40 | Speaker 5:

But I feel like y'all going to have sex, though. Yeah. That's my thing. I'm not just trying to be out just to be out. Like, that's going to get old after a while. Like, it has to lead to something, I would imagine. In my mind, nude beaches were, like, y'all going to have sex later.

03:24:40 - 03:24:59 | Speaker 4:

I heard that there is a nude beach right here that you could go to. It's called Dodge Park on Cass Lake. Oh, is that right? You should try it, but don't be surprised if the Oakland County sheriffs come after you. You guys have heard before about people who die, and when they die, their pet eats them?

03:24:59 - 03:25:00 | Speaker 5:

Never heard that.

03:25:00 - 03:25:00 | Speaker 8:

Oh.

03:25:01 - 03:25:01 | Speaker 9:

You ever hear these stories?

03:25:02 - 03:25:03 | Speaker 3:

We just had this with that actor. Yeah.

03:25:04 - 03:25:04 | Speaker 8:

With the actor.

03:25:05 - 03:25:34 | Speaker 9:

There is a belief that if a person dies at home alone with a pet, a cat will eat the owner before a dog will. Not the case. The reality is, according to popular science, a dog is just as likely as a cat to consume a dead person. If they don't have food to eat, they will look for things to eat. So if you think that your dogs would not eat you, think again.

03:25:34 - 03:25:36 | Speaker 8:

Gene Hackman. That was that. Yeah.

03:25:37 - 03:26:15 | Speaker 9:

And last story, this is for dog owners, too. A growing number of Americans spend their nights snuggled up to their dog. 41% of all dog owners allow their furry friends to sleep in their bed with them at night. Psychologists say it is not a bad idea because dogs add companionship if you are single. or if you've gone through bad relationships. So according to the American Pet Products Association, that sleeping with your dogs is not a bad thing to do. I think, to be honest with you, you got a lot of germs going in that bed.

03:26:15 - 03:26:27 | Speaker 1:

I love when Bo sleeps with me, but for the past like two months, he hasn't been, because I saw him rolling around in his poop in the backyard, and I was like, eh. It was right after we had that discussion on the air too, and I said, and you are banned.

03:26:28 - 03:26:28 | Speaker 9:

Yeah.

03:26:28 - 03:26:29 | Speaker 1:

From the bed.

03:26:29 - 03:26:57 | Speaker 9:

That does it for today. Be safe out there. If you have any kind of issues with breathing, asthma, you know, please make sure that you turn your air conditioner in your car to recycle or recirculate the air inside of the car and not pulling that smoky stuff inside of your car. We will be back maybe tomorrow. I don't know. Maybe if it's this bad, we can get a snow day. You think it's that bad? Is it not getting better? I want something.

03:26:57 - 03:26:58 | Speaker 8:

It's still there.

03:26:59 - 03:27:04 | Speaker 9:

I got bit by something or I don't know. Or it's a brain problem. I don't know. Hopefully not.

03:27:05 - 03:27:05 | Speaker 8:

Just fart.

03:27:05 - 03:27:06 | Speaker 9:

We'll see you tomorrow.
