00:02:36 - 00:02:39 | Speaker 10:

Lionel Richie doesn't play soccer, football.

00:02:40 - 00:03:02 | Speaker 8:

It seems weird when I hear the name as Lionel. You know what I mean? It looks like it's spelled Lionel. But he cried. After the game? He cried, yeah. When Spain was getting their trophy, he was just sitting there. He's tearing up. Poor guy.

00:03:03 - 00:03:07 | Speaker 4:

I think that red card was kind of bull. B.S.

00:03:08 - 00:03:09 | Speaker 8:

The which one?

00:03:09 - 00:03:10 | Speaker 4:

The red card.

00:03:10 - 00:03:27 | Speaker 8:

Really? I thought that that seemed like the most legitimate one. Yeah. I didn't watch the game, but I watched the highlights. Okay. And then saw, you know, all the alerts and stuff. I was out golfing with Luke, and we had such a good time. But I looked at it, and nobody was complaining about it. You know what I mean?

00:03:27 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 5:

Well, that's good. I just feel like in such a big game to make that decision.

00:03:32 - 00:03:56 | Speaker 8:

I don't like the idea that I don't, first off, I don't like the sport. I think the sport to me is not that interesting. I mean, hence a zero, zero game after two and a half, three hours. Right. And then eventually a one, nothing game. There's not enough action going on. I mean, in yesterday's game was no action at all. The fact that there, I mean, I don't think Argentina even got a shot on goal.

00:03:57 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 5:

They definitely didn't have a lot.

00:03:59 - 00:04:18 | Speaker 8:

They didn't have any. I don't think they had any the whole game. I watched it. Yeah, they didn't shoot one shot on goal. Look at it. Google it. Google it when it happened. And Spain had only like 12 shots on goal the entire game. Basically, the ball's in the middle of the field. You know what it looked like? It looked like a game of kickball in the middle of the field.

00:04:19 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 3:

No, I honestly think that since Messi is so favorited that they were trying to make Argentina win. That was my conspiracy. But it just wasn't happening. Really?

00:04:27 - 00:04:37 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. Because I think they like this young guy from Spain, the guy that Messi was bathing, which, by the way, is a weird thing. Like, the idea that a sports superstar is bathing a baby in a bathtub.

00:04:38 - 00:04:43 | Speaker 10:

As because he won a contest. That was the prize is what's so weird to me.

00:04:43 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 8:

Epstein Island all over it, right? I mean, that's just something weird about that whole thing.

00:04:47 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 10:

Yeah.

00:04:48 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 8:

I don't know.

00:04:49 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 10:

But I'm with you. Soccer, no offense, football, whatever you want to call it, is very boring to watch. However, throughout the entire World Cup, I loved the fandom. Like, I love learning.

00:05:00 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 4:

I loved learning about the fans from all of the different countries that came into the States, and, I mean, it was pretty impressive.

00:05:06 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 3:

I mean, don't get me wrong. It was a great event, and it was honestly great for our country to be able to have it, blah, blah, blah. The actual games are snoozy. If you watch that game, the only thing exciting was when the announcers called Brad Pitt. It wasn't Brad Pitt. It was Matt Damon. Did you hear that at all? No. So it was Matt Damon in the number one movie at the box office. The announcer goes, there's Brad Pitt. No, that's Matt Damon. Oh, my God. And then called Pharrell Williams ASAP Rocky.

00:05:40 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. Yeah. Look alike. Either he's an idiot or some producer wrote on his cards wrong.

00:05:47 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 3:

It has to be, honestly, it has to be that somebody in their ear tells them. I think that they say. Yeah, that's bad.

00:05:53 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 2:

They need to get fired. Yeah.

00:05:54 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 3:

Like, that's the one thing when I watch baseball games and watch Jason Benetti, the Tigers guy. He is so pop culture smart. He knows what the hell is going on. He makes references sometimes that you're like, oh, my God, I can't believe he made it. The soccer announcers.

00:06:10 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 2:

Not the greatest. Yeah.

00:06:12 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 3:

I'd love to hear from the, you know what? I'm going to change up our topic for the first topic. I'm going to talk about how boring soccer is. No. Come on. You're only on the soccer band. Oh, no, you did play in high school.

00:06:25 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 2:

I did. Yesterday was the first game I watched, honestly, of the World Cup. Really? And I was like, this is exciting. Really?

00:06:30 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 3:

What's going on? Not enough black guys on the field, huh? What's going on?

00:06:34 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 2:

There were some cuties out there. I'm not going to lie. I don't know what they were, but they were something. Really? Yeah.

00:06:39 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 4:

Dude Bellingham's very cute.

00:06:41 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 2:

They were tan and handsome.

00:06:44 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 3:

Spaniard. The Spaniard. Oh, right.

00:06:45 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 2:

They're from Argentina and Spain.

00:06:47 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, exactly. By the way, my son told me this yesterday. He said, Dad, aren't your grandparents from Spain? And I said, yeah, my dad's parents, my dad's mom and dad both met in Spain and then moved to Cuba. So he goes, you should be rooting for Spain. So halfway through the game, I changed my affiliation.

00:07:09 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 2:

You can't do that, really.

00:07:09 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 3:

I changed my citizenship.

00:07:11 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 2:

Zach, get with me.

00:07:12 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 3:

And then he goes, your uncle or your brother, my uncle Will, he's got Spanish citizenship. You switched up, man. I won. No. I won the World Cup yesterday. You should have put five bucks on it. I should have. Honestly, I should have put five bucks that it would have been a 0-0. Could you imagine? That was a long game. You know what? Honestly, I think they said that if you put $100 on that, you won like $10,000. What? That it would be 0-0 at the end of regulation. We couldn't have worked today. I know. Dang it. Did you see the game on Saturday? There was 10 goals. It was 6-4. Yes. It was crazy. It was the quarter. It was Britain and France. It was England and France. England and France, yeah. They gave away, well, here's the thing, they all gave up. It was basically for third place. It was like, okay, you get third. But it's still good. Wait, Google this, Shannon. How much money do you make if you are a player and you win first place, second place, third place, and fourth place? Million. For real? Tens of millions. It's crazy money, yeah.

00:08:13 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 2:

Even for fourth place? I think it's like $25 million.

00:08:16 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 3:

I think it's something nuts. Alicia, are you there?

00:08:19 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 1:

I am.

00:08:20 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 3:

What's going on, Alicia? Are you a soccer fan?

00:08:23 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to tell Anna that the reason why they got a red card, that guy got a red card, was because it was a second yellow card. So once it was a second yellow, it was an automatic red.

00:08:32 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 2:

Okay, that makes way more sense.

00:08:34 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 3:

And he clapped back at the ref. He was like, oh, you did a good job.

00:08:37 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 2:

Okay, because I was like, this is the finals, and you're going to make them play with 10 players over that?

00:08:43 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 3:

This is the thing, though, that is mind-boggling to me. They don't do that in any of the other sports, like the American sports. that are good ones could you imagine in basketball if like lebron got a technical foul or caitlin clark got a technical foul and they played five on four that'd be crazy that'd be honestly i kind of like it i would be down if draymond you know gets a technical foul you're out you're out and then there's nobody else that can come on the court that'd be crazy you guys want to know the

00:09:07 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 4:

dollar amount yes yeah okay so the champions the team gets 50 million dollars and then it's up to them to divide it so it varies per player the runners up so argentina gets 33 mil and then

00:09:21 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 3:

third place 29 mil and then it kind of goes down from there at some at some point i'm if i am uh leonel messi i am i am going you know i'm exhausted i get i get 30 part of three i'm already the richest guy in the world i'm already so wealthy is this his last one do you know it's got to be Because he's 40 years old, right? So they're saying four more years. He didn't do anything yesterday.

00:09:44 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 2:

No, he didn't.

00:09:47 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 3:

Brittany, hi. We're talking about this thing called soccer. It's like paint drying. What's going on?

00:09:54 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Good morning, Mojo. Good morning. I think you're crazy.

00:10:00 - 00:10:07 | Speaker 2:

I think that it was such a low-scoring game because that's how talented those guys were. That's how I felt. That's why they were both playing for first and second.

00:10:08 - 00:10:09 | Speaker 1:

There's rumors, by the way.

00:10:09 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 2:

Looking at the third place, you know, that was a very high-scoring game. So those games just proved that they don't deserve to be first and second.

00:10:17 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 1:

There's actually rumors that the ball was not inflated properly enough. Inflaky.

00:10:22 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 2:

And so they're saying that. Everybody always poops on soccer, right?

00:10:27 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 1:

See, soccer wasn't big when I was younger. Now soccer's huge. Every kid now seems like they play somewhat. Lacrosse is another sport, too, that to me is boring.

00:10:36 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 4:

No, lacrosse is exciting. For real.

00:10:39 - 00:10:41 | Speaker 1:

You say that because I know that you're a lacrosse mom.

00:10:41 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 4:

No, you need to come to one of Lucy's games. Really? I'm serious, yes.

00:10:43 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 1:

I don't like anything that doesn't involve fighting.

00:10:46 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 4:

That's lacrosse. Okay, then you would love men's. Really? Boys lacrosse is different than girls. Girls, they can't really check, but boys, they beat each other down.

00:10:56 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 1:

I would love to see a bunch of girls fighting. Oh, my gosh. In skirts. No, I mean, just in general. Like Caitlin Clark, I love when they beat her up on the WNBA court. Brittany, I got to ask you, what did you think of the halftime show? Because it is getting panned.

00:11:15 - 00:11:19 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, I thought Shakira did awesome. I mean, she's just a performer.

00:11:20 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:11:20 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 2:

But, yeah, I don't know. Justin Bieber just has so much going on right now. Like, why that song? Why such a slow melody? I'm not dismissing his talent. He's obviously talented. We just needed something a little more of a beat.

00:11:34 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 4:

I agree.

00:11:35 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 2:

For sure. It was a beautiful song. People are saying how boring Fakker is.

00:11:38 - 00:11:50 | Speaker 1:

I thought the Ted Lasso thing kind of fell a little flat, too. People didn't seem like they laughed at all at the Ted Lasso thing. I feel like you have to be an American to get that, right? I don't know. I think Ted Lasso was a global sensation, wasn't it? I don't know.

00:11:51 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 4:

And Madonna was lip syncing. Oh, I know. Oh, I could tell.

00:11:54 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 1:

She actually is not in bad shape. I was looking at her going, man, it's 60s. What's she like? Late 60s, isn't she? Mortada is on with us right now. With a name like Mortada, you're a soccer fan, aren't you? What's going on?

00:12:07 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 6:

I'm born and raised playing soccer. I also played for my university here at Lawrence Tech. So, I mean, 19 billion people were watching the game yesterday. It cannot be boring, right? Tell them.

00:12:22 - 00:12:29 | Speaker 1:

Wait, you're telling me that 19 million people, all of them loved every minute of it? You don't think they were bored with a 0-0 game?

00:12:30 - 00:12:45 | Speaker 6:

But that's the excitement of it, you know? I understand. It's like watching baseball, you know, like 0-0 all the way, like one inning after one, second inning, third inning. It's the same thing. You just wait for somebody to hit the ball. But we don't say that because there's always excitement for the game.

00:12:45 - 00:12:57 | Speaker 1:

My son, and I got to credit him on this one here, so just a little credit to Luke, said it's like when the Super Bowl happens and the game is 17-13. It's not an exciting game.

00:12:57 - 00:12:58 | Speaker 5:

I can see that.

00:12:58 - 00:13:08 | Speaker 1:

The championship, you know, and everybody's anticipating what they saw on Saturday. Kenyatta, shouldn't you be working right now or are you still pooping your little butt out?

00:13:08 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 3:

Mojo, let me tell you something. Yes. You're crazy as hell. Tell him. Come on. Soccer is the best sport. Tell him. First of all, it was loaded. Argentina's goalkeeper was amazing. He stopped 12 shots. He stopped 12, and it was driving me nuts as I was going for Spain.

00:13:32 - 00:13:42 | Speaker 1:

Did you see, by the way, that Spain only gave up one goal the entire World Cup? Yeah. That's amazing. I think that was a record, too. One goal, Spain.

00:13:42 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 3:

One goal. Yeah. One goal. One goal. They said the most people watch the World Cup, the ending Super Bowl.

00:13:50 - 00:13:52 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Yeah. Well, listen.

00:13:52 - 00:14:02 | Speaker 3:

You are crazy. Excitement. They're running up and down the field. The goalkeeper. Come on now.

00:14:02 - 00:14:11 | Speaker 1:

Guess what I'm doing today. Tony Travato asked me to do this. He wants me to door dash Taco Bell to the studio and eat it live on the air just to help their PR. Do you think I should do it?

00:14:11 - 00:14:20 | Speaker 3:

I'll bring it so you can be right there next to me. I love you.

00:14:21 - 00:14:21 | Speaker 1:

I'll talk to you later.

00:14:21 - 00:14:29 | Speaker 4:

By the way, we got to talk about that and clear this up. Because it's not Taylor Farms anymore. And I'll get into why and how.

00:14:30 - 00:14:40 | Speaker 1:

Because they probably have a better PR department. I'll grab you as the last call because it says that I understand you are a first time long time. Is that right, Francis?

00:14:42 - 00:14:43 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, first time long time.

00:14:43 - 00:15:04 | Speaker 1:

By the way, you're wondering, you're wondering, Kev is out. He's out this week. He's got the Idlewild. We got to talk about that this weekend. His Idlewild weekend getaway that's going on and his big event that's happening. So we'll talk more about that and hopefully. He'll call into the show to plug it. Francis, what's up? What did you want to say? Do you want to say that soccer is boring?

00:15:05 - 00:15:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I have to be for you. You can't say soccer is boring. I was raised in a different country, man. That's the best game ever. You know, I don't know why you guys always talk down soccer, man. You guys watch baseball and you stand there for like five hours to even hit the ball. And that's the most boring to them. It's a universal sport. Yes, I'm saying, man. I don't know why you guys like this. It's the best game ever. I didn't like it. It's boring, man. You got to pay attention. Why don't you please speak English? Maybe I can understand you.

00:15:36 - 00:15:38 | Speaker 1:

Francis, where are you from?

00:15:38 - 00:15:43 | Speaker 3:

There you go. Okay, I was born in Ghana, West Africa.

00:15:43 - 00:15:45 | Speaker 1:

Ghana, West Africa. Love it.

00:15:46 - 00:15:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah.

00:15:47 - 00:15:48 | Speaker 1:

I love it.

00:15:48 - 00:15:49 | Speaker 3:

I'm calling from Ghana.

00:15:50 - 00:16:07 | Speaker 1:

Listen, I don't mean to disrespect the game of soccer. I'm just not a fan. And I'm kind of at that age right now where I need a lot of action in my life. I need to actually, you know what I mean? Like I need to go, I need to go hard, Francis. Okay.

00:16:08 - 00:16:10 | Speaker 3:

You do what you do. It's got to open your mind, man.

00:16:10 - 00:16:37 | Speaker 1:

And also think about this. I couldn't play soccer. The field's too big and I can't run five feet. I was the first baseman in baseball. I was alignment in football, basketball. I basically sat on one end of the court and just said, pass me the ball. Francis, I'm not a very athletic guy. All right. Well, listen, I appreciate you. I'm a goalie. I could be a goalie. There you go. I'm fat. I could block the goal. All right. We'll talk to you later, Francis.

00:16:37 - 00:16:38 | Speaker 3:

All right. I'm glad.

00:16:39 - 00:16:40 | Speaker 1:

Call us more often.

00:16:41 - 00:16:45 | Speaker 3:

How good is your memory? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:16:46 - 00:16:57 | Speaker 1:

All right. So we got Morgan Wallen tickets, but this is good. We're also going to give away TI tickets right now and then Akon Neo tickets with the 5S655. So there's some good shows. This was the year that Stranger Things premiered.

00:16:58 - 00:17:19 | Speaker 4:

Something is coming. Something hungry for blood. A shadow grows on the wall behind you. Swallowing you in darkness. It is almost here. What is it? What if it's the Demogorgon? Oh, Jesus, we're so screwed if it's the Demogorgon. It's not the Demogorgon. An army of trogolets charging to the chamber. Trogolets. Told you. So good.

Because if you like the way you look that much. You talk a big game in a car. Now prove how smart you are. Tell us the year this stuff happened. 844 Mojo Live. 844-665-6548.

00:17:46 - 00:17:47 | Speaker 1:

Sarah, what year was that?

00:17:47 - 00:17:50 | Speaker 3:

It's going to be 2016. Yes.

00:17:52 - 00:18:06 | Speaker 1:

Congratulations. We're setting you up with T.I. tickets. T.I. will be at the Fillmore on Friday. So congratulations. Oh, no way. Yeah, a pair of tickets to see whatever you like.

All right, thanks.

00:18:15 - 00:18:38 | Speaker 1:

There's a lot of people in town Friday. So T.I. at the Fillmore, Lil Wayne at, I think, Pine Knob, and Morgan Wallen at the Big House. It's going to be huge. I got to figure out what I'm wearing. Will I look bad if I wear the same outfit that I wore to Yacht Rock?

00:18:38 - 00:18:43 | Speaker 2:

Do it. That is not a Morgan Wallen answer outfit. No white jeans? No.

00:18:43 - 00:18:50 | Speaker 1:

No. No. I actually kind of think I'm a white jeans kind of guy now. I don't know what it is.

00:18:50 - 00:18:52 | Speaker 4:

You and Shannon both look good in the white jeans.

00:18:52 - 00:19:02 | Speaker 1:

I was feeling it, by the way, on Friday. I was feeling like, wow, this is actually kind of nice. And the whole night, I kept every fart in thinking that if I farted, I sharted.

00:19:02 - 00:19:05 | Speaker 2:

You never know, especially right now.

00:19:05 - 00:19:06 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, cyclosporosis.

00:19:07 - 00:19:09 | Speaker 2:

You never know.

00:19:09 - 00:19:21 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:19:24 - 00:19:36 | Speaker 1:

I'm a little late with the Dirty on the 30 for our first one of the week. Usually I'm so much better at this, so I apologize to the listener. I apologize to you, Shannon. I know this is your thing. What do you got in this hour's Dirty?

00:19:36 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 2:

Well, starting off with Vice President Jadie Vance and second lady Usha Vance welcomed their fourth child over the weekend and actually made some history in the process. The couple announced yesterday the birth of their brand new baby boy. His name is Alec Neal Vance. Both mom and baby are happy and healthy. And here's where history was made. Alec is the first child born to a sitting U.S.

00:20:00 - 00:20:02 | Speaker 1:

Vice President in more than 150 years.

00:20:03 - 00:20:12 | Speaker 4:

I think it's the first child born to the president, too, since the Kennedy birth of John F. Kennedy Jr. Oh, really? Yeah.

00:20:12 - 00:20:21 | Speaker 1:

Well, the last VP baby was Skylar Colfax III, whose dad was serving as VP when he arrived in 1870. Holy cow. That's crazy.

00:20:22 - 00:20:30 | Speaker 4:

Isn't that nuts? Which is wild to think, you know, that we haven't elected a president in, like, forever that was of...

00:20:30 - 00:20:31 | Speaker 1:

Young enough to have a baby.

00:20:31 - 00:20:33 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, family, you know, birthing.

00:20:34 - 00:22:00 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah. We touched on this briefly at the start of the show. On stage at Friday's Fanatics Fest, Tom Brady smacked Logan Paul in the head. Was it real or was it staged? In the video, if you Google it and watch it, Tom's face-to-face with Logan on stage in front of, like, a ton of people. big crowd of people they start to have a heated argument and eventually tom slaps logan who then says something back i think he swears back at tom later in the evening logan posted quote this happened because i was roasting tom for beating him in flag football and he tries to smack me horrible example for the kids in a follow-up post tom brady said i tried america we'll try again the next time i see this nerd jelly roll and bunny xo have officially settled their divorce They actually reached a deal a couple of weeks ago. Of course, all of the details are confidential. I do know some of the items they're splitting include a private jet, cars, homes, their intellectual properties. Jelly will also pay Bunny a one-time lump sum. There won't be any sort of alimony claims to fight over in court. That amount, also confidential, by the way. Their agreement, this is interesting to me, also includes a provision prohibiting each other from trash-talking the other. Oh, really? Yeah, so I don't think we're going to hear any dirty details about this. Unless it comes from like a third party.

00:22:01 - 00:22:18 | Speaker 4:

I go with the theory that we had of why are these guys divorcing yet they seem like they're still so good with each other. And it's the legal issues that he's into and it's kind of a financial separation so that he doesn't lose all his net worth. I don't know.

00:22:18 - 00:22:19 | Speaker 1:

I would buy that.

00:22:20 - 00:22:33 | Speaker 4:

I believe that. they tell us like how much each of them got like if they just split it equally and she didn't get that you know i don't know it just seemed that it seems weird that there's still so good yeah

00:22:33 - 00:23:11 | Speaker 1:

and lastly noah khan's concert at city field in new york canceled just before doors were supposed to open saturday night leaving fans super upset the final call made after the stadium's team spent the afternoon monitoring the weather in the new york city area did you guys see what happened there with those torrential torrential storms i mean it was really really bad flash floods soho was like underwater basically it was crazy so they tried as hard as they could they canceled the opener adjusted the set time for noah like he really wanted to take the stage and eventually they just had to cancel the whole thing he felt terrible this is a message i don't expect any

00:23:11 - 00:23:44 | Speaker 3:

sympathy at all i'm so sorry for the folks that stood all day out in the rain and traveled i've been thinking about you guys this was really sorry i promise if you know me i've been torn for about nine years i've probably played about 500 shows and i've canceled six in my life and they've only ever been when we cannot do anything else but cancel the show and i promise you i would play in a volcano a hole of a volcano for y'all and i i'm so sorry that's why you're so popular I don't have sympathy at all. I've got sympathy for the folks that missed out. Just a nice guy. Playing a volcano.

00:23:44 - 00:23:53 | Speaker 4:

Just a nice guy. His music, actually, is kind of getting on me. Like, I'm starting to see it more on people's Instagram posts. I saw that our-

00:23:53 - 00:23:55 | Speaker 1:

So many people went to his show at Wrigley last week.

00:23:55 - 00:24:11 | Speaker 4:

Well, and I saw, and this is sad, a shout-out to Kaylin from the Fred Show. Kaylin used to work with us. They lost their family pet. And she used a Noah Kahn song in there. And when I heard it, I was like, oh, that's a beautiful song. It's such a beautiful, fitting song.

00:24:11 - 00:24:16 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah. Hey, if you miss anything from today, you can always go back, re-listen on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app.

00:24:30 - 00:24:55 | Speaker 4:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. Cavs out today, so that means I need somebody to fill in for the countdown. All right, Anna, thank you. Thanks for stepping up. Five at 6.55, our reigning champs going for seven today, getting ready for double digits. And I understand, according to Lydia, she was having a conversation with you, that you might have partied a little too hard yesterday.

00:24:56 - 00:24:58 | Speaker 1:

Just a little bit. World Cup party.

00:25:00 - 00:25:01 | Speaker 3:

No, it was my birthday yesterday.

00:25:02 - 00:25:23 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Happy belated. That's fun. That's a good reason. Happy birthday to Crystal. Happy birthday to Crystal. You are drunk at a tissue level. All right. Crystal, your challenger this morning who will pass a sobriety test is from Westland. It says here it's your birthday this week, too. Is that right, Haley?

00:25:25 - 00:25:28 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, on Saturday. Happy birthday. The birthday twins. That's nice.

00:25:29 - 00:25:36 | Speaker 1:

You guys are going to be taking each other on. What are you going to do for your birthday, Haley? Are you going to drink your liver dry?

00:25:38 - 00:25:45 | Speaker 3:

No, actually, I think I'm going to hang out with the kids. I am still breastfeeding a child, so the drinking is normal for me right now.

00:25:45 - 00:25:45 | Speaker 2:

Pump and dump, Mama.

00:25:47 - 00:25:58 | Speaker 1:

Does that really? Just on your birthday. How many times do you have to pump in order to? Depends on how much you drink, but one. Really? Is it? Wait, so you don't think that the alcohol stays in there past one?

00:25:58 - 00:26:01 | Speaker 2:

I have talked to Dr. Werner at great length about this.

00:26:01 - 00:26:02 | Speaker 1:

That man does not drink.

00:26:02 - 00:26:03 | Speaker 2:

Depends on how much you drink.

00:26:04 - 00:26:04 | Speaker 1:

Okay. All right.

00:26:04 - 00:26:08 | Speaker 2:

If you have like a glass of wine or like a drink, a beer.

00:26:09 - 00:26:52 | Speaker 1:

Then you're okay. All right. Plus it will be good for the babies. You know, I don't know. No, it won't. Crystal, I'm locking you in a soundproof area. Hold on. Oh, wrong button. That button right there. We'll talk to you in just a second. Five questions, Haley. Whoever gets the most right wins. Ty always goes to the champion. Question number one for our challenger, Haley. After multiple delays, the Gordie Howe Bridge connecting the U.S. and Canada is finally set to open this week. Who was Gordie Howe? I'll give you a multiple choice. Was he A, a famous senator, B, a hockey player, or C, a baseball Hall of Famer?

00:26:53 - 00:26:54 | Speaker 3:

B, a hockey player.

00:26:55 - 00:27:09 | Speaker 1:

And, by the way, the best that ever played hockey. So we probably should also say a Hockey Hall of Famer, too. Question number two. Christopher Nolan's new blockbuster starring Matt Damon was number one at the box office over the weekend. What's it called?

00:27:10 - 00:27:15 | Speaker 4:

Three seconds. Oh, three. Two.

00:27:16 - 00:27:17 | Speaker 1:

What did you say?

00:27:17 - 00:27:18 | Speaker 4:

Covenant.

00:27:18 - 00:27:19 | Speaker 1:

No.

00:27:19 - 00:27:20 | Speaker 4:

The best one.

00:27:20 - 00:27:36 | Speaker 1:

You may be the only one that doesn't know that because everybody went and saw it. Question number three, Spain took the title in the FIFA World Cup Finals yesterday. At what U.S. stadium was that game played?

00:27:37 - 00:27:43 | Speaker 4:

Three seconds. Three? It was in Philadelphia. I'm not sure. Two? Two.

00:27:44 - 00:28:06 | Speaker 1:

I don't know the stadium name. All right. Question number four, Vice President J.D. Vance is a dad again. His wife gave birth to a baby boy. What is Mrs. Vance's first name? Usha. Question number five. It's Tom Brady's ex-wife's birthday today. Who is she?

00:28:07 - 00:28:08 | Speaker 4:

Three seconds. Oh.

00:28:11 - 00:28:11 | Unknown:

Two.

00:28:12 - 00:28:13 | Speaker 3:

Gigi Hadid.

00:28:13 - 00:28:15 | Speaker 1:

Let's bring the champ back from a sound.

00:28:15 - 00:28:16 | Speaker 2:

She was Gigi Hadid, but it's not.

00:28:17 - 00:28:21 | Speaker 1:

Let's bring the champ from a soundproof area. How did Haley do?

00:28:21 - 00:28:22 | Speaker 2:

She only got two out of five.

00:28:22 - 00:28:23 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Haley.

00:28:24 - 00:28:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:28:24 - 00:28:26 | Speaker 1:

Haley, it is your birthday, though.

00:28:27 - 00:28:27 | Speaker 3:

That is dumb.

00:28:28 - 00:29:12 | Speaker 1:

All right, Crystal. Crystal, you guys beat two. Here you go. Question number one. After multiple delays, the Gordie Howe Bridge connecting the U.S. to Canada is finally set to open next week. Who was Gordie Howe? A, a famous senator. B, a hockey hall of famer. or C, a baseball Hall of Famer? Hockey player. Yes. One to one. Hockey player, hockey Hall of Famer. Hockey, the greatest that ever, yeah, that ever played the game. Question number two, Christopher Nolan's new blockbuster starring Matt Damon was number one at the box office over the weekend. What's it called?

00:29:14 - 00:29:16 | Speaker 2:

The Odyssey. Yeah, two to one.

00:29:16 - 00:29:25 | Speaker 1:

By the way, they say it cost $250 million to make. It made over $250 million. They already broke even.

00:29:25 - 00:29:28 | Speaker 2:

It was the biggest opening for Christopher Nolan's career.

00:29:29 - 00:29:29 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:29:29 - 00:29:29 | Speaker 2:

Good for him.

00:29:30 - 00:29:38 | Speaker 1:

And I saw a story, and I actually got the audio for you, that Toy Story made, like, the biggest money that that movie has ever made. Really?

00:29:38 - 00:29:39 | Speaker 2:

You still haven't seen it, have you?

00:29:39 - 00:30:07 | Speaker 1:

I got to talk about movies in a second here. Okay. Very salty at somebody on the show because of this. We'll talk about it. Question, you already won, but question, let's get a good win. Let's go all the way. Question number three, Spain took the title in the FIFA World Cup yesterday. At what U.S. stadium was that game played? I know it's in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Is it Matt's wife? Yes, it is. Three to one.

00:30:08 - 00:30:17 | Speaker 2:

Very good. Question four. Vice President J.D. Vance is a dad again. His wife gave birth to a baby boy. What is Mrs. Vance's first name?

00:30:18 - 00:30:26 | Speaker 1:

Three seconds. It's like a ring. Two. One. I don't remember.

00:30:27 - 00:30:35 | Speaker 2:

Usha. Usha. Three to two. And question number five, it's Tom Brady's ex-wife's birthday today. Who is she?

00:30:36 - 00:30:41 | Speaker 3:

Giselle. Giselle. That's right. 42 final score. Congratulations.

00:30:42 - 00:30:58 | Speaker 2:

And a happy birthday to Crystal and Haley. You got a $50 big boy gift card, so we're going to set you up with that. Slim Jims. Awesome. Thank you guys so much. That's a great birthday present. You're going to love it. Have a great time.

00:30:58 - 00:31:22 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVPS Toledo. And iHeart Radio Station. Guaranteed human. Real people. Real stories. Real laughs. Real smelly. And real dumb sometimes. Mojo in the Morning. Live!

00:31:23 - 00:32:06 | Speaker 2:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. Good to have you guys here with us. Home of War of the Roses, Bustin' Cheaters, the Second Date Update, finding out why you're not getting a call back, and Shannon's Dirties on the 30s, plus our Five Lies to Tell Your Mom Phone Scams, the Throwback Throwdown, Am I the A-Hole? Good to have you guys here with us today. I think I have a one-sided friendship going with one particular person, and I would like to discuss this. and I don't know if you guys have ever felt like there's a friendship that you have that is purely a one-sided friendship. So this past weekend, I'll get my phone out here so I can read it.

00:32:06 - 00:32:07 | Speaker 1:

Oh, he has receipts.

00:32:07 - 00:32:09 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. That's what you call them, receipts?

00:32:10 - 00:32:10 | Speaker 1:

Mm-hmm.

00:32:10 - 00:32:10 | Unknown:

Okay.

00:32:11 - 00:32:20 | Speaker 2:

I got the receipts right here. I text one Kevin Irwin. I'm sad that he's not here.

00:32:20 - 00:32:21 | Speaker 1:

The second or his dad?

00:32:22 - 00:32:27 | Speaker 2:

The second. Good question. His dad, I should have. I don't even have his dad's number. I need his dad's number.

00:32:27 - 00:32:30 | Speaker 3:

He won't give it to you. He won't give it to anybody.

00:32:31 - 00:33:17 | Speaker 2:

Kevin will not give his dad's number. You know what? That's another reason why I got to check him off as a bad friend. So I sent Kevin a text message. And this was on Saturday at 9.42 a.m. Okay? And the text message said, let's go see Odyssey. Because he's been talking about this movie literally for a year or so. And Kev loves going to the movies. He's a movie nut. And here's the thing that's interesting. He may live in downtown Detroit. He goes to the movie theater that is my movie theater. He goes to the Imagine Nova. He likes the Super E-Max that they have there. So he goes all the way out there. And I figured, you know what? It's early enough on a Saturday. I'll send that to him. He won't answer me back for 24 hours because that's pretty much our one-sided friendship.

00:33:17 - 00:33:19 | Speaker 3:

And you need to buy tickets in advance, I think, right?

00:33:19 - 00:34:07 | Speaker 2:

well because aren't like it's so sold out i got a friendship with uh with somebody yeah paul paul even though paul is not the and nick so i had an in on a couple of theaters or a couple of times this is my text back and i will say this he answered back fairly quickly 942 is my text his text 956 lol there's no way you're sitting in a theater that long and then i text back with a big popcorn i would and he doesn't text me back at all that's it that's it you were left on red yeah he blew me off he gave me so much false hope when i saw the dot dot dots appear he was

00:34:07 - 00:34:26 | Speaker 3:

texting i thought for sure i was getting a date here's the thing to be fair and i understand you're upset because your buddy goes to do but at the same time do you think you could actually stay awake for a three-hour movie because you don't have a good track record i slept great the

00:34:26 - 00:34:39 | Speaker 2:

night before and my testosterone level is now at an 800 so which is amazing by the way okay Chelsea is a lucky girl

00:34:39 - 00:34:42 | Speaker 3:

You usually fall asleep during movies

00:34:42 - 00:35:41 | Speaker 2:

So here's the thing And I want to throw this out there I don't know if there's anybody that has one-sided friendships with people You can call that relationship out I really want to hang out with him and go to a movie Because he's a fun guy to be around I can only imagine how much fun he would be to look at look at his face during a movie oh my gosh you know what I mean like in Josiah coming with too it'd be awesome so I was like all right well maybe I'll just go see it by myself and then I thought you know what here's what I'm gonna do and you guys tell me on this one I thought maybe I'll go see Toy Story and hold Odyssey for Kev and after the show one day he'll want you know he'll say all right i'll go with you okay then i thought to myself and tell me if you think this is weird can a guy by himself a man with no kids go into a disney pixar movie with a theater full

00:35:41 - 00:36:11 | Speaker 3:

of moms and kids and dads and kids okay you've done a lot of overthinking on this movie thing normally i would say no you can't but toy story to me is like an adult movie as well yeah especially this one especially five maybe pick a later show time really don't go during the day when all the kids i wouldn't i wouldn't bet an eye at a at a guy for toy story but if it was like you know the the a new whatever the new animated princess movie is yeah i you're a creep

00:36:11 - 00:36:29 | Speaker 2:

so if i so if i walked in all right question here you go if i walked in to toy story and your son and daughter are sitting there and you get up and go to the, you know, do you ever leave them in the theater by themselves and go to the bathroom or anything? Yeah. What a horrible

00:36:29 - 00:36:31 | Speaker 3:

mother you are. They are old enough.

00:36:31 - 00:36:38 | Speaker 2:

What a horrible mother. They could be kidnapped. No. They would return them right away. And John Rolfe and America's Most Wanted would be. Especially Smith.

00:36:39 - 00:36:41 | Speaker 1:

Nope. Especially Smith.

00:36:41 - 00:36:49 | Speaker 2:

What would you do if I bought this seat right on the other side of you guys and sat next to Smith and you didn't know who I was and you see my fat ass sitting there.

00:36:49 - 00:36:57 | Speaker 3:

I honestly wouldn't care in that particular movie unless you started, you know, chatting it up with him uncomfortably.

00:36:57 - 00:37:02 | Speaker 2:

Offering him some candy. I don't know. I think I would be okay. I think that-

00:37:02 - 00:37:06 | Speaker 3:

Because Toy Story to me is like, it's both. It's a kid's movie, but also an adult movie.

00:37:06 - 00:37:08 | Speaker 2:

What if I shared my popcorn?

00:37:08 - 00:37:12 | Speaker 1:

So are you going to, can we go back to Kev? Are you going to tell him that you're mad?

00:37:13 - 00:37:20 | Speaker 2:

Well, I put it in topics and I know Kev's not here. He's not reading topics. I'm going to hear his side of it. You don't think Kevin? I think he does.

00:37:20 - 00:37:22 | Speaker 3:

I don't think he does on a normal basis.

00:37:23 - 00:37:30 | Speaker 2:

Lydia, can you call Kevin just to get his side of it, just to see? I know he's off, but honestly, if I was off, I'd want to at least clear my name.

00:37:31 - 00:37:37 | Speaker 3:

I can't believe he left you on red. He could have at least said, you know, I'm going, just Josiah and I are going.

00:37:38 - 00:37:40 | Speaker 1:

But I think he was recording on Saturday, too.

00:37:40 - 00:37:50 | Speaker 2:

What do you guess that Kevin's going to say to me? You think he's going to say, no, man. I guess Kev's not even going to answer the phone. He's going to be, no, man. That's going to be his thing.

00:37:50 - 00:37:52 | Speaker 1:

I think he's going to say it's weird for two men to go.

00:37:52 - 00:37:56 | Speaker 2:

Hold on. George is on the phone with us right now from Six Salons.

00:37:56 - 00:37:57 | Speaker 1:

Oh, hi, George.

00:37:58 - 00:37:59 | Speaker 3:

The guy who would bail me out.

00:37:59 - 00:38:00 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, everyone.

00:38:00 - 00:38:02 | Speaker 3:

George, will you go to the damn movie with him?

00:38:03 - 00:38:12 | Speaker 4:

I would absolutely love to. I saw it last night. It was fantastic. And I'm a notorious sleeper through movies. Not one time did I even think about falling asleep. That's true. Really?

00:38:13 - 00:38:31 | Speaker 2:

George, I may need you on this one here. I'm here for you. I want to go see it. And listen, I don't think that I would fall asleep. My only problem with George is our schedules are so crazy. This guy, you know, tell everybody what your Monday through Friday schedule is as far as when you start, when you are. All right.

00:38:31 - 00:38:43 | Speaker 4:

So I start tomorrow morning at 530 and I go until 6. Wednesdays I go 10 to 10. Thursdays I go noon to midnight. And then Fridays I do just an eight-hour shift.

00:38:43 - 00:38:45 | Speaker 3:

Who's getting their hair cut at 530 in the morning?

00:38:45 - 00:38:53 | Speaker 4:

or midnight yeah the people that are on that are doing everything in a city city and state of ours

00:38:53 - 00:39:10 | Speaker 2:

isn't that wild how convenient though is that if you're a business person or you're just some mom that doesn't want to like you know you'd get a babysitter and you want to wait till your spouse comes home you can get your hair done at 11 o'clock at night from george absolutely usually

00:39:10 - 00:39:15 | Speaker 4:

it's like put the feed the kids see the husband put everybody to bed and still get stuff done and

00:39:15 - 00:39:55 | Speaker 2:

be able to take care of yourself george can you believe you know kevin well i know he's a buddy of yours too can you believe that he did that to his friend isn't that sad did you huh it's he ghosted you i'm telling you george not only did he ghost me he made me feel belittled oh my gosh he he hurt my feelings oh i'm sure he didn't mean it i know all right well listen i love you brother i know you're always there for me man so we'll we'll figure out you man absolutely we'll get a time thank you uh lydia any response from uh kevin erwin nope didn't

00:39:55 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 1:

00:39:59 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 2:

00:40:00 - 00:40:05 | Speaker 4:

morning um I texted him just to see if he wanted to talk about Idlewild before he left oh okay

00:40:05 - 00:40:39 | Speaker 3:

all right you know what I got an idea you know how I can hang out with uh Idlewild I'm gonna buy a spot at Idlewild what would he do if I showed up I would die do you think he would have me blocked I think he would be excited really yeah I'm gonna pack my my Tommy Bahama swimsuit I'll be the only guy in idle wild in a tommy bahama i guarantee you keith what's going on oh nothing good morning mojo and the fam good morning want to go see a movie with me yeah but am i gonna have to nudge

00:40:39 - 00:40:50 | Speaker 1:

00:40:51 - 00:40:54 | Speaker 3:

I've flown on flights with you with your mouth completely wide open.

00:40:54 - 00:40:56 | Speaker 1:

And guess what? You, too. Whoa.

00:40:56 - 00:41:03 | Speaker 3:

We both have apnea. Hold on. Jordan, what's going on? What smart-ass comment do you want to say, Jordan?

00:41:06 - 00:41:17 | Speaker 4:

So you're trying to get on Kevin's website, so he'll go on a date with you, right? Yes. Are you sure it's a good idea to call the man on his day off at 7 a.m.?

00:41:17 - 00:41:29 | Speaker 3:

Listen, you know what? Kevin doesn't have hours. I'm telling you. He normally will show up at work and you'll say, Kevin, you sent us a text at like 2 o'clock in the morning. I guarantee you he's okay.

00:41:30 - 00:41:38 | Speaker 4:

I guess, yeah, I didn't think about that. I guess this is good payback, but you have to make him happy. Otherwise, he's not going to go here.

00:41:38 - 00:41:52 | Speaker 3:

Now I know, this is the thing. Now I know why people that do our second date updates seem so sad. I should have played that music right when we were doing this. All right. Anna, I felt like you, Anna. What?

00:41:53 - 00:41:55 | Speaker 4:

What? Why am I getting thrown into this?

00:41:55 - 00:42:03 | Speaker 3:

I felt like it was when that mama's boy called in. Kevin didn't even give me a response like, I'm taking care of my mom's dog.

00:42:04 - 00:42:10 | Speaker 1:

Notice he didn't call, or notice that he didn't want to go bad enough that he texted any other member of this radio show.

00:42:11 - 00:42:18 | Speaker 3:

What am I going to, actually, you know what I'm going to do? I'll give him that. I'm going to text a member of the show. I'm going to text Smith and see if he'll go see Toy Story with me. He will.

00:42:19 - 00:42:29 | Speaker 2:

The guy you were dating was fun until the hookup. Now he's ghosting you. What happened? Find out during second date update at 820. On Mojo in the Morning.

00:42:29 - 00:42:39 | Speaker 3:

All right. It is Mojo in the Morning show. Shannon got some advice over the weekend. Or what would you call it? What would you say?

00:42:39 - 00:44:11 | Speaker 1:

I guess it would be advice. I think it was more so maybe I would call it a wake up call. um a really really good friend of mine and I were chatting and they said during the course of the conversation that I need to be more confident and I was kind of taken aback by that and I asked them to explain and they said like in every single area so like not not only just as a person in general but in your career as a mom as a friend and I can't stop thinking about it now because immediately I was defensive and I was like well I am confident I'm I'm a very confident person and as I thought about it over the weekend I'm like but I do feel like I'm in a season of life like a where I am constantly comparing everything about myself to other people and their situations like as a mom I feel like I can't compete with Lucy and Smith's dad right now As a friend, I feel like I'm kind of out of the loop with my friends. I feel like I'm talented in this job, but I second guess everything that I do and talk about. And I'm like, is this normal or is my friend right? Do I lack confidence? I don't know, but it threw me for such a loop. And I'm like, maybe I'm not like I tell myself I am.

00:44:11 - 00:44:21 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. And I know that we all have things that we're self-conscious of, but that that conversation that you had gave you doubts, even though you were defensive.

00:44:22 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 1:

I was defensive, but I think that this that this friend was right. Like, I feel like I'm like, but like the more and more I thought about it over the weekend. Yeah. Because I like I said, it really threw me. I'm like, maybe I do need to be more confident in everything that I do and am. And I, I just like, we always talk about comparison and if Kev were here, he'd be like, comparison is the thief of joy. And I truly believe that yet. I still, I'm human and it's human nature. I think to compare yourself and your situation and your talents and your capabilities to other people. And I feel like I'm in a stage of doing that a ton right now.

00:44:59 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 3:

I got to ask. All right.

00:45:00 - 00:45:16 | Speaker 2:

questions a couple questions um why do you compare yourself with uh your your kid's dad um just naturally like i because you guys split time with each other and stuff yeah and i want to make

00:45:16 - 00:45:27 | Speaker 3:

sure that they're is that i wonder if that's a good of a time at you know when they're on my weeks as they are on his weeks like i think can i say this to you though i don't think kids need

00:45:27 - 00:45:51 | Speaker 2:

to have a good time i think they need to be parented and i think that you are an amazing parent like i really do think that and i think that they hey they could go in in i know that this is not the case with uh with your um ex disney dads would be the greatest dads in the world to have but they're not always the greatest parents yeah um you know and they have a great dad

00:45:51 - 00:45:57 | Speaker 3:

and and but they he can provide them with things that i really can't and so i get down on myself

00:45:57 - 00:46:03 | Speaker 4:

about that even though i shouldn't yeah um but i think it goes vice versa yeah you can give them

00:46:03 - 00:46:45 | Speaker 2:

things that he yeah as their mom yeah well moms definitely and dads you know give give their kids difference here's another thing i want to ask you i want to ask you about the radio thing because you say that you compare yourself or you don't feel confident with what you do I listen to you on the air, and I feel like there are times where you are definitely the go-to for us on a lot of things, and you give confidence in that. But I also do agree with you in the fact that you, for some reason, and this is something that you've always done, is you look and think that you're not achieving what you need to achieve. I don't think that that's a bad thing, though, sometimes.

00:46:46 - 00:46:48 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. What more is there to achieve, though?

00:46:48 - 00:46:55 | Speaker 2:

Well, I think that there's, you know, it's like you're not settling, you know, for where you are. Like, you're always trying to get better.

00:46:56 - 00:47:03 | Speaker 3:

And grow. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. I guess that's one. I don't know. It's just like I couldn't stop thinking about the conversation.

00:47:04 - 00:47:07 | Speaker 4:

What do you think provoked her to give you this?

00:47:08 - 00:47:12 | Speaker 3:

I don't. We were just having, like, a good conversation.

00:47:12 - 00:47:20 | Speaker 4:

um and it's not like you were saying you were down on yourself or something okay is that a bad

00:47:20 - 00:47:45 | Speaker 3:

thing to say by the way please let me say this is absolutely not me fishing for a compliment i'm talking like i had some deep conversations with myself this weekend about this of like what is going on in this season of your life shan like you know get it together and like just be happy and confident being you and, and feel blessed being you and all of the things that

00:47:45 - 00:48:51 | Speaker 2:

you were given, you know? And, um, yeah. I, um, I love, um, I loved my forties, but I feel like I didn't, my forties were gone in a second. And there was something about when I left my forties and turned 50 that I sat there and I thought to myself, I had 10 years of years that I probably look back on and say, because usually, you know, it's like they talk about midlife. The average person, it seems like does not live to a hundred. So fifties is not, I don't believe midlife because you're not going to get to a hundred years old. Forties is kind of midlife. And there's something interesting about the fact that when I turned 50 years old, I said to myself, where did the where did my life go yeah you know what I mean and I've had a great life I will tell you this if if at all I achieved in my life was my family I achieved greatness because that's exactly what it's like like you know that that's you know what I wanted but I do think that there is a level of stop stop always looking at what you haven't done and look at what you have done

00:48:51 - 00:49:24 | Speaker 3:

yeah you know yeah that's such good advice i think too i also am in like a a i keep using the word season but i'm in a season of my life where i am constantly being thrown into situations where i'm meeting new people like lucy started a new school smith's about to start a new school just different work things and whenever i i'm in those situations i always have this feeling of where do i fit in this group of people and that causes you to kind of like think about all of this stuff too so and I listen I think I'm on overdrive I think people think that too I think

00:49:24 - 00:49:44 | Speaker 2:

a lot of people do and this is a good conversation to have because there's so many people that honestly you know I think we all lack confidence you know what I mean like the people that have the biggest confidence probably are struggling in some area of their life Michaela what's going on it's mojo in the morning uh what are your thoughts on what Shannon's talking about good morning good

00:49:44 - 00:50:18 | Speaker 1:

morning good morning um I'm like in a whole different season too like I've had kids I had a baby when I was 18 and I had kids late in life now so I'm postpartum like with an eight-month-old and like one of the biggest things that I've been like a super downfall on myself and like what a therapist has said to me and other friends have said is if you heard a friend talking to you talking to the way you're talking about yourself to someone else what would you say so the way that you're speaking about yourself matters just as much as like what you're providing and what you're doing because that also can come to fruition so if you're like i'm not confident then you're not going to be confident yeah because you're like internalizing

00:50:18 - 00:50:29 | Speaker 5:

it and making it happen yeah i've heard somebody somebody said that to me but put it in the words of like lucy if you heard your daughter speaking about herself the way and that hits me so hard

00:50:29 - 00:50:43 | Speaker 2:

Well, I think your kids always come into play with a lot of things because you're like, what would I do if my kids were in this? That happens in a lot of relationships. If my son or daughter was in this relationship, what would I say to them? What's going on, Heather? How are you doing?

00:50:44 - 00:50:45 | Speaker 4:

Good. How are you this morning?

00:50:46 - 00:50:52 | Speaker 2:

I'm confident. Actually, I'm not. I'm not really confident. I'm faking the confidence level. Go ahead. What do you want to say?

00:50:53 - 00:51:18 | Speaker 4:

Well, to be honest, I think a lot of it has to do with perimenopause. I said, when I started perimenopause, I started questioning everything, and it's just kind of brought me down for a long time. Then it didn't help that, like, as you get older, your body starts changing, and you can't do certain things, and you have to try to reinvent yourself. And it's a little difficult at times when you've always been a certain person.

00:51:18 - 00:51:21 | Speaker 2:

Can I say something about perimenopause or menopause?

00:51:21 - 00:51:22 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I can't wait.

00:51:23 - 00:51:48 | Speaker 2:

As a man, I feel left out. that I have not experienced menopause. I'm just kidding. I do not want to. I feel for you guys because I've seen, you know, menopause through the eyes of my wife and Chelsea's handled, you know, in an amazing way. But I'm going to say this to you. I am so happy. I've got a ding-a-ling.

00:51:48 - 00:51:50 | Speaker 1:

Oh, gosh. I'm scared.

00:51:50 - 00:51:52 | Speaker 2:

Heather, I don't want to have.

00:51:52 - 00:51:54 | Speaker 1:

I'm not going to lie. I'm jealous of you.

00:51:54 - 00:51:56 | Speaker 2:

Listen. I get it.

00:51:56 - 00:52:02 | Speaker 5:

of you for the first time ever for the first time ever i'm telling you that what your what

00:52:02 - 00:52:14 | Speaker 2:

your bodies feel like and what you guys you know are going through i don't get it man why is god like you guys gave birth to babies god should be more rewarding of you for that you know yeah but

00:52:14 - 00:52:42 | Speaker 4:

it's a season of slight confusion and trying to find your place because it's almost like a part of you dies when you enter perimenopause and like just trying to, I think it's normal to question yourself, but don't go down a rabbit hole too much because you do have to remind yourself, look at what you have, what you've done, look at what you've created. Like you're an amazing human being and you just have to remember that. Yeah. Um, Heather, thank you

00:52:42 - 00:52:50 | Speaker 2:

for the call. I appreciate it. Uh, Heather, Heather, real quick, would you be upset with a person if they said that to you that you lack confidence and they were just trying to pump you

00:52:50 - 00:53:07 | Speaker 4:

up honestly yeah a little bit but no because right now i do feel like i lack confidence yeah i i've gone through a whole change and i'm not sure where i fit at the moment yeah i i think that uh you know

00:53:07 - 00:53:24 | Speaker 2:

you went back to kev's always talking about comparison is the thief of joy i think also social media has kind of ruined us like before social media you had nothing to compare things to yeah except for yeah seeing it face to face yeah ben what's going on ben hey good morning

00:53:24 - 00:53:43 | Speaker 3:

guys hi morning first off shannon i think you're doing great um but i just texted in uh on this conversation i feel is really missing kev because he would have said something really random that would have like made you question life but then right back down and inspired you at the same time

00:53:43 - 00:54:16 | Speaker 2:

inspirational so true here's what i'm gonna do since kev's not here and i know we're guaranteed human i'm doing ai kev i'm going i'm going to i'm going to claude and i'm gonna ask claude for something that shannon needs her right now but um all right uh thank you ben i appreciate it yeah happy monday guys happy monday appreciate it by the way i love that we're all like happy Monday Monday I would like to tell you that that friend of yours is a wise person because I really do think it brought a great conversation yeah I mean it's a good it's a good check it's a good

00:54:16 - 00:54:21 | Speaker 5:

check it is yeah and honestly I and I'm not saying I'm mad at this person by any means I really

00:54:21 - 00:54:45 | Speaker 2:

appreciated it it just caused me to think a lot and I think it's also for you the listeners when you're listening to this live right now or podcast if it's live to you at that time it's something to sit there and ask yourself, you know, how confident am I with where I am right now? And, you know, what can I do to make myself feel like I'm achieving what I need to achieve? We'll be right back with more Mojo in the Morning after this.

00:58:19 - 00:58:23 | Speaker 3:

I'm going on Friday, and I don't know if anybody else.

00:58:26 - 00:58:29 | Speaker 1:

This is a potential topic. Yes, we are. Oh, you are going.

00:58:29 - 00:58:30 | Speaker 6:

You are.

00:58:30 - 00:58:33 | Speaker 3:

Okay. What do you mean by a topic, a potential topic?

00:58:33 - 00:58:40 | Speaker 1:

I don't want to bring it up as a topic, but there was a little bit of drama. Oh, really? Yeah.

00:58:40 - 00:58:41 | Speaker 3:

Can we get into it after the dirty?

00:58:42 - 00:58:45 | Speaker 1:

If Lydia and Bianca want to. Lydia and Bianca? Yeah, that's fine. Okay. Sure.

00:58:45 - 00:58:57 | Speaker 3:

All right. After the dirty, we'll get into a little bit of the drama, the Morgan Wallen drama. And maybe, actually, no, I'm going to hold on to those tickets for a second. But I was going to say, maybe I'll throw out a pair of Morgan Wallen.

00:58:58 - 00:59:00 | Speaker 6:

Don't say that and then not do it.

00:59:01 - 00:59:10 | Speaker 3:

They're coming up, Shannon. They are coming up. I'm going to tell you that. We got a lot of these tickets. Tony Travato even said that the record label gave us tickets, too.

00:59:10 - 00:59:11 | Speaker 1:

Oh, wow.

00:59:11 - 00:59:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, which is very rare that record labels do anything for us anymore. Where do we get them from? You know why they gave it to us? Because they're country record labels.

00:59:19 - 00:59:19 | Speaker 6:

And they're nice.

00:59:19 - 00:59:36 | Speaker 3:

That country, I told you when I went to that country music festival. Yeah. They treat the radio people like they're, you know, amazing. So, all right, Summer, Cars, Cash, and Gas be the 95th caller for your chance to win a brand new $28,000 car or $20,000.

00:59:37 - 00:59:39 | Speaker 5:

00:59:42 - 00:59:56 | Speaker 6:

It was so funny. So the kids had a swim meet yesterday. And there are like some parents, as they should be, watching their children swim. I would say 75% of the parents were crowded around the bar and the TVs watching the World Cup.

00:59:57 - 00:59:58 | Speaker 1:

Love that they have a bar at swim meets.

00:59:58 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 6:

And that was so funny.

01:00:00 - 01:00:11 | Speaker 4:

So unless you live under a rock, you know that the World Cup final happened yesterday and Spain ended up winning over Argentina in what Mojo was calling the scoring game of all time.

01:00:15 - 01:00:21 | Speaker 3:

Final score, one to nothing. I didn't realize. I thought it was sudden death. Like, I thought, okay.

01:00:22 - 01:00:23 | Speaker 4:

Whoever scores first.

01:00:23 - 01:00:23 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's kind of like they do in hockey.

01:00:23 - 01:00:27 | Speaker 4:

I thought that too, but no, then they kept going. I mean, that was a long game.

01:00:27 - 01:00:29 | Speaker 3:

That's a lot of running around for a lot of time.

01:00:29 - 01:01:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so this means that Lionel Messi's last match in the tournament was a loss. Now, everybody this morning still talking about the halftime show. First ever halftime show for a FIFA World Cup. It was Madonna, BTS, Bieber, and Shakira. And the word on the street, I guess the verdict on Twitter or social media, was just that it was boring. Not good. Bieber did a song called Everything Hallelujah. and fans were like i mean we were looking for some energy yeah from him i love this great song

01:01:13 - 01:01:18 | Speaker 3:

but maybe not the time and place is that on his album that hallelujah song or no i don't know but

01:01:18 - 01:01:33 | Speaker 2:

it's been super viral on social media it is yeah everything hallelujah really you're a huge believer lydia what did you think of it like i i wasn't too crazy about i know i just feel like he should a different song yeah if he was like dancing and performing like i would love to see him like

01:01:33 - 01:01:43 | Speaker 4:

perform beauty in a beat yeah no no cold water i was gonna say i love cold water and then madonna i mean she's iconic but everyone was like it was very obvious that she was listening

01:01:43 - 01:02:03 | Speaker 3:

the gays lover i asked my son i said how was it he goes i love madonna shakira was great Did you do Vogue or just music? I didn't watch. I didn't watch either.

01:02:04 - 01:02:09 | Speaker 1:

Hey, this is Madonna. You're waking up with my Detroit morning show, Mojo in the Morning.

01:02:09 - 01:02:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but overall, it was like a thumbs down for Chris Martin in that movie. She looked really good, though.

01:02:13 - 01:02:14 | Speaker 3:

She does.

01:02:14 - 01:02:16 | Speaker 4:

She had one point. Wait, how old is she?

01:02:16 - 01:02:21 | Speaker 3:

She had those guys in between her legs, and I was looking at her thighs, and I was like, she's got muscular thighs.

01:02:21 - 01:02:22 | Speaker 4:

She's 67 years old.

01:02:22 - 01:02:24 | Speaker 3:

What? She's almost 70 years old. Holy cow.

01:02:24 - 01:02:25 | Speaker 4:

67 years old.

01:02:25 - 01:02:36 | Speaker 3:

Tell me a 70-year-old, the only other ones that I can remember would be Tina Turner and Cher that at that age were able to still do it. Christy Brinkley. But not, like, moving around like she was moving around, dancing.

01:02:37 - 01:02:37 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah.

01:02:37 - 01:02:45 | Speaker 3:

But, like, Tina Turner was unbelievable for the longest time, and then Cher was, like, unbelievable for the longest time.

01:02:45 - 01:02:57 | Speaker 4:

That's impressive. Guys, Taylor Farms, the company that the FDA initially claimed was the Taco Bell lettuce supplier responsible for this explosive diarrhea parasite.

01:02:57 - 01:03:14 | Speaker 1:

Tonight, Taco Bell saying the affected ingredient has been removed from our supply chain nationwide. The FDA's investigation leading to an independent farm in Mexico. The supplier, Taylor Farms, one of the nation's largest producers of fresh vegetables, telling ABC News they are voluntarily removing all...

01:03:14 - 01:04:06 | Speaker 4:

report from last week. Yeah. Well, the FDA is saying this morning that the test results were a false positive. So it's not Taylor Farms. So now we paid them off. Now we're back to not knowing where it came from. Right. They double checked a lettuce sample, which was supplied by Taylor Farms of Mexico. It had zero traces of this cyclospora. So and I feel bad. I mean, the company like voluntarily recalled and removed all of its products and taco bell was avoiding was avoiding excuse me lettuce on a lot of it's yeah so um i they ruined the company i don't know where it's coming from now i have friends of mine we were group chatting yesterday who still have not eaten produce like in a week and a half now i'm like i've been i've been eating all the same

01:04:06 - 01:04:12 | Speaker 3:

things i want a salad so bad yeah i've not had a salad either i actually had tacos with lettuce

01:04:12 - 01:04:18 | Speaker 4:

yesterday i mean not taco bell but costco i had a burger and i they had lettuce on there i was like

01:04:18 - 01:04:24 | Speaker 3:

oh i want to touch it but no i i just grabbed it and yeah so not them so they don't know where

01:04:24 - 01:05:00 | Speaker 4:

like to pinpoint at this point and lastly in a truth social pose president trump is threatening higher tariffs on canadian goods accusing the country of quote-unquote willful negligence and handling the forest as hundreds of wildfires sent that smoke into the United States last week. The president said that Canada is failing at basic forest management and vowed to call the prime minister about it, arguing that the economic toll of these repeated smoke events should be tacked on to tariffs. Now, the prime minister dismissed the president and said this is a climate change.

01:05:00 - 01:05:14 | Speaker 2:

issue. This is a shared obligation between the United States and Canada, but still on Friday, Canadian fire officials reported nearly 900 active fires and fewer than 100 of them being contained.

01:05:14 - 01:06:36 | Speaker 4:

Here's what I would like to say, and I don't want to get political because people get pissed when we get political. Trump needs to send help and not sit there and tariff. Tariffing is not going to put the fires out it's the dumbest thing ever he just he's stuck on these these damn tariffs and it's done nothing for our country or for our economy send you know the coast guard or whoever you can send with planes with water now for canada you got to put your fires out i hate to say they don't put their fires out they literally do not yes they don't they let them burn out and they need to they need to and this has happened in the past remember we've had haziness yeah for like the last decade or so every single summer yeah i mean it's been it's been uh bad they have a thing where they do they control the burns basically and they allow them to kind of like go out naturally and i think that when you think of what is being put out into the atmosphere we only get two and a half months of nice weather and the fact that last week i had three or four days where i couldn't do dick at all you know what i mean like don't you agree with me yeah like it's crazy let's put the fires out but if that's the case if you need the if you need help let's send them help trump or trumper i by the way was shocked yesterday that he was on the field giving out medals

01:06:36 - 01:06:39 | Speaker 2:

well and i thought the guy was gonna trophy and standing there when the confetti

01:06:39 - 01:06:48 | Speaker 4:

it was kind of awkward and i'm not this is not a presidential threat but i would be worried i was going to get killed. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The Iranians don't like this, man.

01:06:49 - 01:06:54 | Speaker 2:

Congratulations to you. You got a $50 gas card. You're now qualified for a brand new 2026 Chevy Trax and or $20,000. Which one would you take? Would you take the cash or the car?

01:07:57 - 01:08:06 | Speaker 1:

Oh my gosh. I don't even know right now. I have two 16-year-old drivers in the house that are sharing a car. So maybe the car.

01:08:06 - 01:08:12 | Speaker 4:

How do they work out the shared time on the car? Do they have to sign it out or like a library book or what do they got to do?

01:08:12 - 01:08:26 | Speaker 1:

basically yes they wherever one has to go the other one has to go too are they twins um no they're my husband and i both had kids the same age oh my god were they uh friends

01:08:26 - 01:08:33 | Speaker 4:

with each other before you guys got together yes oh wait a second who cheated with each other

01:08:33 - 01:08:39 | Speaker 1:

did you cheat with uh him there no no no we were both in other relationships

01:08:39 - 01:08:44 | Speaker 4:

all right tell me the story i want to know what happened

01:08:44 - 01:08:52 | Speaker 1:

we just met through mutual friends while our kids were playing and then we ended up together

01:08:52 - 01:08:59 | Speaker 4:

hold on a second so excited no their mom was yes really no but they were friends they now

01:08:59 - 01:09:05 | Speaker 2:

they're step siblings with their friends so they loved it but what i'm what i'm understanding is

01:09:05 - 01:09:08 | Speaker 4:

And this is my having done War of the Roses now.

01:09:08 - 01:09:10 | Speaker 2:

There has to be drama for him to believe it.

01:09:10 - 01:09:23 | Speaker 4:

No, for most of my life, what I'm understanding, I've done War of the Roses, I've seen this before, was kids had playdates and mom and dad had playdates, and that's how you guys got together. Is there any truth to that?

01:09:24 - 01:09:28 | Speaker 1:

There was no playdates while the kids were having playdates, I promise.

01:09:28 - 01:09:37 | Speaker 3:

but while the but did you leave your father of the other of your 16 year old neither one of us

01:09:37 - 01:09:43 | Speaker 2:

were married okay so we uh yep i'm not now he's gonna hang up on you because it's not interesting

01:09:43 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 4:

no i think no i'm not gonna do that that's okay can you imagine i want something can you yeah you gotta get it she's got to get her gift card to kroger delivers and uh you know for a 50 gas from Kroger Delivery and Gordon Chevrolet.

01:10:00 - 01:10:52 | Speaker 1:

delay but i do find it interesting like i in my head i'm picturing that you guys you know dropped each other the kids off at one you know house and all of a sudden it's like why are your mom and my dad hanging out with each other you know why are my that probably eventually happened i know that's what i thought i thought that that was what it was all right i'll move on anybody else thinking let's talk about another scandal the ticket scandal oh okay mojo in the morning so this is the mojo in the morning show and there's a morgan wall in concert this weekend and there's some kind of a ticket scandal that's going on right now when shannon asked is anybody else from the show going because i am going and i was hoping that some of you guys would be there so that i would be able to see you at the uh the morgan wallen show i would love to

01:10:52 - 01:10:59 | Speaker 3:

know where lydia and bianca got their tickets did our friend end up giving you them no and here's

01:10:59 - 01:11:07 | Speaker 2:

be out playing with their mic so hold on sorry you guys can hear that my bad what were you doing with your microphone there just adjusting it's like wobbly and loose bro so i'm trying to fix

01:11:07 - 01:11:16 | Speaker 1:

it up okay tighten it well don't just asmr all right so what was what's okay so you guys got

01:11:16 - 01:11:21 | Speaker 2:

tickets who gave you tickets um i got tickets from someone who didn't want to want me to say

01:11:21 - 01:11:26 | Speaker 1:

where i got them from is it uh tony travato and he doesn't want other people hitting him up for

01:11:26 - 01:12:23 | Speaker 2:

the tickets you might be right you might be uh not right what's the scandal i'm gonna let them tell it you're gonna okay i will um anna came in the other day and she asked bianca and i if we would ever be interested in going to morgan woolen and i was like oh my god yes i would love to go and she said well a couple days ago dr reynolds had offered her a pair of tickets to go and she said oh well it's not really my speed i'm busy i won't be able to make it dr reynolds from reynolds orthodontics myamazingsmile.com so he had told Anna I guess that if any other show members would like to go to let him know and so she can confirm he did say that so she put Dr. Reynolds Bianca and I all in a group chat and she was like oh my gosh Bianca and Lydia would love to go and he was like well actually I'm not really sure he said I may or may not have them yes and he was like if they

01:12:23 - 01:12:46 | Speaker 3:

don't go i'll let you know it's been that changed real quick i can't remember if he told me it was iffy like i feel like when we were talking because he was working on my teeth so it was hard to communicate with him but i think he said i might have extra tickets so it could have been a me thing but he said if you or somebody else from the show wants to go so here's uh something

01:12:46 - 01:13:23 | Speaker 1:

interesting he knows he knows i'm going with chelsea because actually he offered he offered us a ride we're we're going uh uh with uh chris shoemaker and his beautiful wife uh the uh the jonah family is going to be there jordan jonah and his beautiful wife so we're all going like couples he must know also that kev's not going to go to a morgan wall in concert there's no way no he probably was thinking maybe you shannon would like to go to the concert i like morgan wallen i just don't like crowds that big but maybe so maybe

01:13:23 - 01:13:30 | Speaker 3:

bianca and lydia i think maybe he just doesn't have the tickets anymore but no it's definitely

01:13:30 - 01:13:50 | Speaker 2:

i think it is a bianca and i think he's probably like i gotta sit with bianca for three hours no thank you i can't blame him like when you see bianca and i after we've had a couple drinks together it's like tweedle d and tweedle jump would you guys have been on your best behavior though if uh are you joking no at morgan walling sorry it's not happening to be honest yeah bianca's

01:13:50 - 01:14:03 | Speaker 1:

right we wouldn't has anybody ever been uninvited to something like this is this is kind of interesting that they're the uh the invite thing is interesting like so can i see what the text

01:14:03 - 01:14:32 | Speaker 3:

or read what the text says back and forth he didn't so he communicated with me at my appointment But then I started a chain and I with Dr. Jamie, Dr. Jamie and Bianca. And I saw right after your appointment. Yeah. Like the day after. And I was like, what day? Because I knew there were two dates and I was like, what day is it happening? He told us, I was like, well, I can't make it. I also didn't really want to go. But I was like, oh, I can't make it. But Lydia and Bianca might want to go. And then he said back.

01:14:33 - 01:14:50 | Speaker 2:

Hey, let me tell you, I might be crazy, but I can give Dr. Reynolds a good time. Oh, my God. You never watch how you say things. Yeah, right. She's like, look at my mouth, Dr. Reynolds. Look at my mouth for you. He did tell me he wanted to work on my mouth at Mojo's party. He told me that, too.

01:14:50 - 01:14:54 | Speaker 1:

By the way, can I tell you something? What he did to Anna is unbelievable. I know. They look amazing.

01:14:55 - 01:14:56 | Speaker 2:

You honestly got your teeth beautiful.

01:14:56 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. I always thought that Anna had wonderful teeth.

01:14:59 - 01:15:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:15:00 - 01:15:04 | Speaker 1:

And then he showed me the before and afters of how he shaped her teeth.

01:15:04 - 01:15:07 | Speaker 3:

Did I need it? He widened my smile.

01:15:07 - 01:15:08 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you might.

01:15:09 - 01:15:13 | Speaker 3:

He'll be able to do something. Trust me. Mine looked like yours. Very good.

01:15:13 - 01:15:17 | Speaker 1:

I shouldn't say that to her after we just did a topic about Shannon lacking confidence.

01:15:18 - 01:15:22 | Speaker 2:

No, but your teeth look amazing. And they were great before, too.

01:15:23 - 01:15:45 | Speaker 1:

But he showed me this thing with Anna's teeth that was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. And I didn't realize the shape of how your teeth go can show you or can make you look younger. Like, you know how people get facelifts or do some kind of like tummy tucks and stuff, and you know they're doing it to make themselves look better. And usually when somebody does like a good facelift, it's pretty damn amazing.

01:15:45 - 01:15:46 | Speaker 2:

And you can't, yeah.

01:15:47 - 01:15:57 | Speaker 1:

A person doing a teeth restructuring, because they're still your teeth. Yeah. He just kind of shaped them.

01:15:57 - 01:16:09 | Speaker 3:

I'm not going to lie. I've always wanted veneers, and then after he did this, I was like, oh, I don't need veneers anymore, because I thought my smile was super narrow and my teeth were little, but it was just how they were positioned, so shout out to Dr. Reynolds.

01:16:09 - 01:16:19 | Speaker 2:

Well, Anna was, like, missing a tooth before, too, right? And that's fixed now, too, right? Yeah, that is. Thank you. Be honest. Was that Dr. Reynolds, too?

01:16:20 - 01:16:24 | Speaker 1:

Here's the text exchange. By the way, do you have Dr. Reynolds' number? Do you want to call him?

01:16:24 - 01:16:26 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'll call him. This is so funny.

01:16:26 - 01:16:28 | Speaker 1:

All right, here's a text exchange.

01:16:29 - 01:16:30 | Speaker 3:

It was a long text.

01:16:30 - 01:16:46 | Speaker 1:

Anna, good morning, Dr. Reynolds. Great to see you and the team yesterday. Very professional. I was telling Lydia and Bianca about the Morgan Wallen concert this morning, and they're interested too. I've added them to this message. Smiley face.

01:16:46 - 01:16:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:16:46 - 01:16:49 | Speaker 1:

Or smiley, what would you call that?

01:16:49 - 01:16:51 | Speaker 3:

It's like a text smiley.

01:16:51 - 01:17:00 | Speaker 1:

A text smiley. Do you still have extra tickets? And if so, can you remind me what day they are for? Hope you have a great day!

01:17:01 - 01:17:02 | Speaker 4:

Very nice text, Yanna.

01:17:03 - 01:17:17 | Speaker 1:

He responds back with, hey, y'all, we may have extra tickets. We may not. Should have that worked out in a week. Well, there's still a chance.

01:17:18 - 01:17:19 | Speaker 3:

No, this was weeks ago.

01:17:20 - 01:17:31 | Speaker 1:

Oh, really? It would be for Saturday night and likely two tickets. If you all are available, please let me know, and I will get back to you ASAP. And then who is this one? Lydia.

01:17:31 - 01:17:32 | Speaker 3:

That's Lydia. She said she's interested.

01:17:33 - 01:17:33 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

01:17:34 - 01:17:35 | Speaker 3:

Dr. Reynolds is on with us.

01:17:36 - 01:17:57 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Dr. Reynolds, everybody, who, by the way, makes my teeth, Kev's teeth, and Anna's teeth look so good. She's been in all our mouths. Dr. Reynolds, you've been in so many. How many mouths have you been in nationwide? Probably a ton of mouse. How are you doing, Jamie? You doing good?

01:17:58 - 01:18:00 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. I'm good. Thank you. Good morning.

01:18:01 - 01:18:02 | Speaker 1:

So Anna.

01:18:03 - 01:18:06 | Speaker 4:

I've got a tiny mouse at $35,000.

01:18:06 - 01:18:13 | Speaker 1:

$35,000. Now serving like McDonald's. $35,000. So we're talking.

01:18:13 - 01:18:15 | Speaker 3:

Did you have the extra tickets?

01:18:15 - 01:18:24 | Speaker 1:

Oh, gosh. We're talking Morgan Wallen right now. And Bianca and Lydia think that they were uninvited because it was them that said that they would go to the Morgan Wallen concert.

01:18:24 - 01:18:43 | Speaker 4:

no so we have a we're bringing our referrals for the uh for the concert it's our big referral event for the uh for the year and we had some invitations out there that hadn't responded yet so i was talking with anna about it um but there are we have two tickets that aren't in a suite

01:18:43 - 01:19:14 | Speaker 1:

available oh see you guys oh hold on but that's honestly that's where that's where walker's sitting oh he is wait so you'll sit next to walker then your son is that right if there's two tickets or no yep okay should we do it bianca and lydia where are your guys's seats you want to sit next to you you can hang out next to the greatest kid in the world walker reynolds that's really sweet

01:19:14 - 01:19:20 | Speaker 3:

i'm going friday now so it's okay oh you're going to go two days in a row all right jamie well

01:19:20 - 01:19:49 | Speaker 1:

Here's the thing. These guys, they read into it that when their initial invite came, they read into it that maybe you wanted Shannon to go and not them. Or Kev. Or Kev. Yeah, totally. By the way. He's so good at it. He's so good at it. He's so good at it. If you couldn't get Kevin to go to a concert, though, like a country concert, that would be unbelievable. If he didn't have his Idlewild thing, do you think that he would go?

01:19:49 - 01:19:50 | Speaker 3:

Heck no. No.

01:19:50 - 01:19:50 | Speaker 1:

No?

01:19:50 - 01:19:55 | Speaker 3:

No way. He is not a country music fan whatsoever. He's not a Morgan Wallen fan either.

01:19:55 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 1:

Well, is it more? See, I think he would love a country concert, like maybe Zac Brown or something.

01:20:00 - 01:20:04 | Speaker 3:

I like that. He doesn't like Morgan Wallen because of the N-word controversy that Morgan Wallen had. Yeah, I agree.

01:20:05 - 01:20:05 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:20:05 - 01:20:14 | Speaker 3:

So, all right. So, Dr. Reynolds has a pair of tickets. The first person to go get braces from him. Yes.

01:20:15 - 01:20:22 | Speaker 4:

Yo, Dr. Reynolds, next time you got an event, just to let you know, I'll give you a great time. Just putting it out there.

01:20:24 - 01:20:24 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

01:20:28 - 01:20:29 | Speaker 3:

Jamie, I love you, buddy.

01:20:30 - 01:20:34 | Speaker 2:

I'll talk to you. I'm excited for Friday night. We're going to have fun. I'll see you.

01:20:34 - 01:20:35 | Speaker 3:

Bye.

01:20:36 - 01:21:07 | Speaker 2:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Mesquite Grand Rapids. WVPS Toledo. An iHeart radio station. Guaranteed human. Three great radio stations. One stupid show. Mojo in the morning. Live. Mojo. Let me take y'all back to the beginning. This is it.

01:21:07 - 01:21:08 | Speaker 3:

All right, are you ready?

01:21:09 - 01:21:11 | Speaker 2:

You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

01:21:11 - 01:21:12 | Speaker 3:

You're a doo-doo head.

01:21:16 - 01:21:17 | Speaker 5:

Let's go.

01:21:19 - 01:21:59 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. Welcome to the Mojo in the Morning show. Good to have you guys here coming up this hour on the show. We got some good topics that we got to get into this morning here on the show. Anna with why the hell is that out right now? I have to bring up something that I think honestly is a must. And that is a video that I have of a friend of mine explaining to everybody. And this happened last week. A friend of mine got stung by a bee on his pee.

01:22:00 - 01:22:04 | Speaker 1:

Stop it. I swear to you. How does that happen? Where were his pants?

01:22:05 - 01:22:41 | Speaker 3:

Huh? His pants were on. It flew up his pants. But when you hear the video, you'll die laughing. And I'll bring that up coming up here in just a little bit. And then Bianca said that myself and her mom were talking spit about her at the Yacht Rock on Friday. Oh, snap. Which is a load of crap. I'd like to defend myself. We'll have that and more coming up. Second date update is on the way, too, in just a little bit. Why are you not getting a call back after you wanted a date? All right. It's Mojo in the morning. Anna saw something over the weekend, and she was dumbfounded. And when she told us, I'm blown away by it. What was it?

01:22:42 - 01:23:10 | Speaker 5:

Yep. I went to HomeGoods. I was thinking of you yesterday, Shannon. Went to HomeGoods, and I kid you not, half of the store is Halloween. Oh, yeah. And I am, I'm a fall girly. I don't even like summer, but it is July 20th. The kids haven't gone back to school. There's still some holidays coming up, I think. And we're already decorating for Halloween. I know. I need to know who's buying that right now and why you're buying it July 20th.

01:23:10 - 01:23:14 | Speaker 1:

What do you mean? I went to Michael's yesterday and Michael's is the same way. The whole front of the store is Halloween.

01:23:14 - 01:23:17 | Speaker 5:

It's all Halloween. Really? All Halloween decorations.

01:23:18 - 01:23:20 | Speaker 1:

Wouldn't it be back to school time right now?

01:23:20 - 01:23:22 | Speaker 5:

Let me tell you something.

01:23:23 - 01:23:39 | Speaker 1:

Back to school got skipped. And I say this because both of the kids said something about backpacks over the weekend. I was like, oh, we should probably like, well, I'm thinking about it. Just order backpacks. Both of the backpacks they want. Everything's out of stock, out of stock, out of stock. Yes. It's crazy how far in advance we all do things now.

01:23:39 - 01:23:47 | Speaker 5:

That's what I was thinking. And then I was even more shocked to see that people were buying the stuff already. I'm like, what are you going to do with it? Put it in storage for the next couple of months?

01:23:47 - 01:23:53 | Speaker 1:

Okay, there is a huge Frankenstein head at HomeGoods. that I'm going to go see if I saw somebody else get it.

01:23:53 - 01:24:03 | Speaker 3:

Don't you think that consumerism has kind of gotten crazy? For sure. The idea that like Christmas stuff will probably then be out.

01:24:03 - 01:24:04 | Speaker 1:

September.

01:24:04 - 01:24:21 | Speaker 3:

In September, yeah. Like it's crazy. Like we can't celebrate. We can't enjoy the time that we have right now. The other thing I think is wild, and tell me if this is the case. How is it that kids didn't have to have the same thing that I did when I was a kid? I had the same backpack for like three or four years.

01:24:21 - 01:24:33 | Speaker 1:

No, same. And to be fair, normally they do. They both trashed their backpacks this year. So, yeah. The hell are your kids doing their backpacks? Oh, my God. Smith was like in tatters at the end of the year. Yeah.

01:24:33 - 01:24:36 | Speaker 3:

What the hell is he doing? Dragging it behind the bus or something? What's going on? Probably.

01:24:36 - 01:24:36 | Speaker 1:

Pretty much.

01:24:36 - 01:24:51 | Speaker 3:

Wow. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Do you hate this too? Or are you somebody that loves this? And are there any people that have Halloween decorations already up? And it's 90-something degrees outside.

01:24:51 - 01:25:03 | Speaker 5:

I love Halloween, but it is just, it's too early. Bianca, didn't you just go to a Halloween party? Yeah, but it was like a summer week. So it was like Halloween and summer. Oh, okay. It was cool, though. That was fun.

01:25:03 - 01:25:05 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I don't know that-

01:25:05 - 01:25:06 | Speaker 5:

Well, maybe they were buying the decor.

01:25:07 - 01:25:12 | Speaker 1:

That seems like a fun night, but it doesn't seem like a fun, you know, like, let's do this for a while.

01:25:12 - 01:25:23 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's like a lot of my- I have a few friends who are photographers, and they're already signing families up for holiday minis, is what they call them. Like Christmas. Like for Christmas. Cards and stuff.

01:25:24 - 01:25:25 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh. Yeah.

01:25:25 - 01:25:39 | Speaker 1:

All right. So 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. What's up, Brittany? How you doing? I'm good. How are you? Fantastic, Brittany. I'm a little, though, miffed that it's already Halloween stuff out. What do you think about that?

01:25:41 - 01:25:53 | Speaker 3:

I think it's crazy. And I went to Hobby Lobby the other day, and they have Christmas out already. What? Stop it. Come on. Do they always have Christmas, though? So it was Christmas already. Rebrand to be Bronners.

01:25:53 - 01:26:00 | Speaker 1:

I'm protesting Hobby Lobby. I don't think I've ever been to a Hobby Lobby in my life. It's overwhelming. Yeah, it is. Is it? What does Hobby Lobby have?

01:26:00 - 01:26:11 | Speaker 2:

They have every, like, craft, home decor, hobby, knick-knack. Wedding supplies, everything. Everything. Really? It is amazing. It's just overwhelming.

01:26:11 - 01:26:13 | Speaker 3:

They even have, like, a toy section.

01:26:14 - 01:26:15 | Speaker 1:

What is the...

01:26:15 - 01:26:19 | Speaker 3:

I didn't see any Halloween, just Christmas. They just skipped Halloween and went to Christmas.

01:26:19 - 01:26:21 | Speaker 2:

Well, because they probably did Halloween in February.

01:26:22 - 01:26:29 | Speaker 1:

Hey, do you know if the fireworks stores have already turned over to be the spirit Halloween stores yet?

01:26:30 - 01:26:32 | Speaker 3:

I've seen signs for Spirit Halloween.

01:26:32 - 01:26:37 | Speaker 1:

Are there any Spirit Halloween stores that are consistent, that stay open year-round? I don't think so.

01:26:37 - 01:26:38 | Speaker 3:

I don't think so.

01:26:38 - 01:26:49 | Speaker 1:

The closeouts, yeah. Thanks for the call, Brittany. KY is on the phone, which Kevin would, if he were working this week, would be like, KY. Hey, what's up, Katie? Or is it Kai?

01:26:49 - 01:26:50 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, is it Kai?

01:26:50 - 01:26:51 | Speaker 1:

Is it Kai or is it KY?

01:26:51 - 01:26:54 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it's Kai. Oh, man.

01:26:54 - 01:27:15 | Speaker 1:

mojo you son of a man how do you spell how do you spell your name k-a-i okay with lydia you know what shame on lydia because it says because you would pronounce it k if she spelled it k-a-i yeah

01:27:15 - 01:27:23 | Speaker 5:

last time i did it you pronounced it wrong so then i changed it up today to k-y for kai i'm sorry kai

01:27:23 - 01:27:26 | Speaker 1:

It's K-A-I Go ahead

01:27:26 - 01:27:27 | Speaker 5:

I did it last time and you pronounced it wrong

01:27:27 - 01:27:29 | Speaker 1:

What is your comment?

01:27:30 - 01:27:44 | Speaker 4:

I was just going to say that Halloween is a lifestyle I have Halloween decorations up Year round just because they kind of go with my decor It's not like pumpkins and stuff like that It's skeletons Stuff like that

01:27:44 - 01:27:47 | Speaker 1:

01:27:48 - 01:27:51 | Speaker 4:

01:27:51 - 01:27:53 | Speaker 1:

01:27:54 - 01:27:55 | Speaker 3:

I do not.

01:27:55 - 01:27:56 | Speaker 1:

I do that.

01:27:56 - 01:28:00 | Speaker 3:

What about the pumpkin stuff? Are you eating and drinking that year-round?

01:28:01 - 01:28:07 | Speaker 4:

Not year-round. Usually only around when it comes out. I'm not a pumpkin person all day.

01:28:07 - 01:28:10 | Speaker 1:

Can you get a pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks right now if you want to?

01:28:10 - 01:28:11 | Speaker 4:

I don't think so. You cannot.

01:28:11 - 01:28:12 | Speaker 2:

I don't think so.

01:28:12 - 01:28:13 | Speaker 1:

You've tried?

01:28:14 - 01:28:15 | Speaker 5:

Well, I always keep up.

01:28:16 - 01:28:19 | Speaker 2:

They only have those flavored serps at certain times.

01:28:19 - 01:28:40 | Speaker 1:

Can I tell you something? Ready for this? Hold on. You have a Halloween costume in there? I'm doing it live on the air right now. Look what Starbucks sent me. Mojo. Mojo has a special thing. Mojo from Starbucks. Ready? Starbucks sent me something nice. Wait, what is that? I was going to open it for you guys.

01:28:40 - 01:28:42 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to get one of those. Ready? Yeah.

01:28:43 - 01:28:48 | Speaker 1:

Oh! What is that? I got a black card.

01:28:48 - 01:28:59 | Speaker 5:

What is that? I have one of those too. black card. What does it do? They sent it to me two weeks ago. I just got it in the mail. How long have you been a member? I've been a member since what, 2014?

01:28:59 - 01:29:03 | Speaker 1:

Oh, mine's 2013. What does the black card do? Well, you have to have

01:29:03 - 01:29:11 | Speaker 5:

a certain amount of points, which makes you like black level tier. What do I get? You get nothing

01:29:11 - 01:29:19 | Speaker 2:

crazy. No? Okay, it says Mojo Mojo. It has your name on it. Member since 2013. Treat this card like cash. Oh, so it's

01:29:50 - 01:29:53 | Speaker 5:

hi good how are you first time long time

01:29:53 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 4:

good morning good morning

01:30:00 - 01:30:03 | Speaker 7:

I was just calling in about the Hobby Lobby thing.

01:30:03 - 01:30:09 | Speaker 6:

They don't, they skip Halloween because it's a Christian company and they don't celebrate Halloween. So they never have Halloween.

01:30:10 - 01:30:11 | Speaker 2:

Oh, wow.

01:30:11 - 01:30:15 | Speaker 6:

No, they never have Halloween. They have fall, but not Halloween. No way.

01:30:15 - 01:30:19 | Speaker 2:

I did not know that. That's wild. So it's like Chick-fil-A. Does Chick-fil-A do?

01:30:20 - 01:30:21 | Speaker 6:

Probably not.

01:30:21 - 01:30:25 | Speaker 2:

No? That's interesting. What's up, Savannah? Hi. How are you?

01:30:25 - 01:30:27 | Speaker 7:

Good morning, guys. Good morning.

01:30:27 - 01:30:28 | Speaker 2:

What's going on?

01:30:29 - 01:30:39 | Speaker 7:

No, so I texted in to Lydia that Hobby Lobby already has their Christmas stuff out. It's probably been out for about a month now. And then Shannon Myers has all their back-to-school supplies out right now.

01:30:40 - 01:30:52 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's crazy to me that, like, I usually do Target just because it's close to my house. And it's, like, it's not, I wouldn't say it's picked over, but, I mean, it's, there's a dent in it for sure already.

01:30:53 - 01:31:02 | Speaker 2:

You know where I used to like getting backpacks, like, if you're at a backpack store? I used to like getting backpacks at, what's the brand of backpack? There was a store. Jansport.

01:31:02 - 01:31:03 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I loved Jansport.

01:31:03 - 01:31:04 | Speaker 2:

We had a Jansport store.

01:31:04 - 01:31:06 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, those were the best. I didn't even know they had a store.

01:31:07 - 01:31:08 | Speaker 2:

Can I tell your money story?

01:31:08 - 01:31:08 | Speaker 3:

Jansport was the best.

01:31:08 - 01:31:22 | Speaker 2:

It made me start thinking of this. Jacob had a friend, and his name was Carlo, I think it was. It was a kid he went to middle school with. And he used to make his dad go get him backpacks at the Toomey store.

01:31:22 - 01:31:24 | Speaker 3:

The Toomey store? Isn't that very expensive?

01:31:24 - 01:31:29 | Speaker 2:

And put his initials on it. So the kid would walk around, and the kid would come over to the house.

01:31:29 - 01:31:30 | Speaker 3:

He was like a 50-year-old man.

01:31:30 - 01:31:54 | Speaker 2:

He would do, like, I don't know, work and stuff, you know, like with Jacob. Like they would do shared projects. And he would come over with his big leather to me bag. And I'm like, this kid's got it going on. And then here's the funniest thing. I chaperoned for them in high school or middle school to go to New York City. They did a New York City trip. The only thing the kid wanted to do was go to Wall Street.

01:31:55 - 01:31:57 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. I wonder what he's doing now.

01:31:57 - 01:32:06 | Speaker 2:

He's got to be, like, working for Elon or something. Yeah. Yeah, it was crazy. What's up, Joanne? Like, Joanne Fabrics? I'm like, Kevin here. What's going on?

01:32:06 - 01:32:25 | Speaker 1:

So funny. So I was calling in about the craft stores and why they have the Halloween and the Christmas things out now. Yeah. It's for people who make crafts to sell at, like, events and things or in their storefronts so that they can start preparing. Because if you wait until the last minute, you won't have time to get it done.

01:32:25 - 01:32:27 | Speaker 6:

I get that for a Hobby Lobby, not a Homewoods.

01:32:27 - 01:32:34 | Speaker 2:

No, you know why they do it? Because Halloween has overtaken Christmas as the number one decorating holiday.

01:32:34 - 01:32:43 | Speaker 3:

A lot of content creators that I follow are already doing Halloween decorations and giveaways. Rocky, what's up?

01:32:44 - 01:32:46 | Speaker 5:

Yes, sir. Good morning, Mojo. How are you this morning?

01:32:46 - 01:32:47 | Speaker 2:

Hey, I'm doing good. What's going on?

01:32:49 - 01:32:58 | Speaker 5:

Not much. Just calling in to let you guys know that I do keep one of my Halloween decorations up all year. My 12-foot skelly stays up in my front yard all year. I just change his clothes.

01:33:00 - 01:33:02 | Speaker 2:

I bet your homeowners association must love you.

01:33:03 - 01:33:23 | Speaker 5:

Well, the neighbors love it. The neighbors love it. They get a real good kick out of it. So I keep him up for Halloween. He stays playing. So after Halloween, what I do is I put a scarf, a Santa scarf and a Santa hat on him. And then for summertime, he gets his shorts and he gets his sunglasses on. So Rocky. The neighbors love it.

01:33:23 - 01:33:28 | Speaker 2:

Here's the deal. The neighbors loved it the first year. Now the neighbors...

01:33:28 - 01:33:29 | Speaker 3:

Please move, Rocky.

01:33:29 - 01:33:37 | Speaker 2:

The neighbors now think that you also have a car that doesn't run in your front yard and weeds growing all over the place.

01:33:38 - 01:33:46 | Speaker 5:

Well, they can see that, but I don't have the weeds. Oh, okay. The weeds. They can't see the weed, but they can see the weeds.

01:33:46 - 01:33:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, now I know. Okay. They're like, that's stoner down the street.

01:33:52 - 01:33:53 | Speaker 4:

Speaking my language.

01:33:53 - 01:33:55 | Speaker 2:

Jessie, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

01:33:56 - 01:33:57 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Mojo.

01:33:57 - 01:33:58 | Speaker 2:

Hi, what's going on?

01:33:59 - 01:34:25 | Speaker 4:

I was just going to say we are like a Christmas all year family. So we were super stoked that Hobby Lobby already had their Christmas up. But we have like Christmas wallflowers going all year long, little sprinklings of Christmas. And then we usually try to make it to like mid-October before we start putting up. We call it like our Christmas forest. I think we're up to 13 trees and like every single one has its own theme. I do love that, but wow. Are you really?

01:34:26 - 01:34:29 | Speaker 3:

I've never been to Bronner's. I've lived here in my whole life. I've never been.

01:34:30 - 01:34:33 | Speaker 4:

It's actually my son's birthday, and that's where he wants to celebrate.

01:34:33 - 01:34:35 | Speaker 2:

So Bronner's is where you buy all that stuff.

01:34:35 - 01:34:36 | Speaker 4:

All the Christmas stuff.

01:34:36 - 01:34:38 | Speaker 2:

I've been in there, and I was like, it was a flea market.

01:34:38 - 01:34:39 | Speaker 6:

I love it.

01:34:39 - 01:34:40 | Speaker 2:

It was a Christmas flea market. Really?

01:34:41 - 01:34:42 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, mangers, everything.

01:34:42 - 01:34:50 | Speaker 2:

That, by the way, was one of those trips where it's like, hey, guys, we're all after school is over with. We're all going to go on a trip, and we're going to go to Bronner's, and then we're going

01:34:50 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 6:

go eat that zenders oh tell mojo to give you a review look at his face i love it i grew up eating

01:35:00 - 01:35:01 | Speaker 1:

The only thing good was the mashed potatoes.

01:35:02 - 01:35:03 | Speaker 2:

And they are good. The noodles, too.

01:35:03 - 01:35:13 | Speaker 1:

They were good. Brawners. Oh, my God. Don't get me started. Brawners. You could get all the good stuff at Target if you wanted to.

01:35:13 - 01:35:14 | Speaker 2:

I love it.

01:35:14 - 01:35:24 | Speaker 1:

My kids were touching everything, too. Luke was a baby at the time. Not a baby, but he was probably like maybe seven, six or seven. And they're like, you can't touch that. Don't touch this. Don't touch this.

01:35:24 - 01:35:26 | Speaker 2:

It's all breakable. I understand. They're all ornaments.

01:35:27 - 01:35:29 | Speaker 1:

He's a kid. He wants to touch things. All right.

01:35:30 - 01:35:36 | Speaker 3:

One and done on the dating, eh? Why no second date? Second date update happens at 820. On Mojo in the Morning.

01:35:38 - 01:35:52 | Speaker 1:

All right, it's Mojo in the Morning. Oh, you know what? I should get into this now. I'm going to switch things up a little bit, and I'm going to do this topic here right now. Did I tell you the story about my friend who got stung on his...

01:35:52 - 01:35:55 | Speaker 3:

No, I've been waiting to hear. How in the heck does this happen?

01:35:55 - 01:36:45 | Speaker 1:

So I got word of this from another friend who said hey have you seen the video of jd and i said no i said you know what happened to jd and he said said jd had a major event happen medical event happened i'm like oh christ i love jd he's a great guy jd had a bee fly up the pant leg of his bathing suit and got into his pants and stung his a bee stung his pee i actually came up with two different titles for this one i came up with a bee stung his pee or do you like stinger on the dinger because remember we like stinger on the dinger stinger on the dinger is what this podcast is going to be zach can i

01:36:45 - 01:36:52 | Speaker 3:

ask a question don't men's like uh bathing suit shorts whatever have like the liner yes a liner

01:36:52 - 01:36:55 | Speaker 2:

Or aren't you supposed to wear something under it?

01:36:55 - 01:36:57 | Speaker 1:

No, I have board shorts that don't have liners.

01:36:57 - 01:36:59 | Speaker 2:

And you don't wear, like, those tight underwear things?

01:37:00 - 01:37:02 | Speaker 1:

No, you never wear it. Guys that wear underwear with their bathing suits.

01:37:02 - 01:37:06 | Speaker 3:

No, yeah, I know you don't wear underwear, but I thought they all had, like, that neck, that mesh netting or whatever.

01:37:07 - 01:37:37 | Speaker 1:

By the way, has anybody ever had this happen? Because do you remember years ago, one of the most famous things we talked about on our show was a skeeter on his peter? I remember that. A guy got bit by a mosquito on his penis. All right, listen, so do you want to see the video? Yes, please. I'll send you the video so you can see it. Wait, what is the video of? It's a video of JD explaining to everybody in the group text, the group chat, that he got stung. So you can see what JD looks like.

01:37:37 - 01:37:38 | Speaker 2:

Also, how is he doing?

01:37:38 - 01:37:40 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so do you have to go to the hospital or what?

01:37:41 - 01:37:48 | Speaker 1:

There's reports that he might have gotten it amputated, but it could have been just his wife, Jen, wanted it amputated. Hold on a second here. Hold on.

01:37:48 - 01:38:09 | Speaker 2:

Guys, I'm not here to brag. I'm not here to boast. I'm not here to puff my chest out, as people say. But I am a survivor at this point. I was stung by a bee on the hell of my penis tonight at the bar.

01:38:09 - 01:38:10 | Speaker 3:

You say hell?

01:38:10 - 01:38:53 | Speaker 2:

At the pool, at the bar pool. And at this point, it would have taken many people down. Many weaker men down, but I went into the bathroom, pulled my pants down, and there he was, tucked, tucked underneath my a**, stinging away, stinging away, sting, sting, sting, stinging away. Multiple stings. I swatted him away, fought him off, stepped on him because I didn't feel like it was necessary for me to save his life because he was stinging me underneath the penis a**. So I killed that man, and I am a survivor, but I'm doing okay. Thank you for all the help and the people that cared about me. Real quick, real quick.

01:38:53 - 01:39:00 | Speaker 1:

Did he have a few drinks? Real quick, I stop it right now. His wife, Jen, screams from the other room at this point.

01:39:00 - 01:39:01 | Speaker 3:

Baby, bitch.

01:39:02 - 01:39:04 | Speaker 1:

Jenny, shut up. I'm shooting a video.

01:39:05 - 01:39:06 | Unknown:

God.

01:39:07 - 01:39:08 | Speaker 2:

But I'm good. I'm doing good.

01:39:08 - 01:39:14 | Speaker 1:

Let me just play the ending part again, because I stopped it too soon with Jen. Hold on.

01:39:14 - 01:39:32 | Speaker 2:

Fought him off, stepped on him because I didn't feel like it was necessary for me to save his life because he was stinging me underneath the penis. So I killed that man. And I am a survivor, but I'm doing OK. Thank you for all the help and the people that cared about me.

01:39:34 - 01:39:36 | Speaker 3:

Jenny, shut up. I'm shooting a video.

01:39:36 - 01:39:38 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. That is so funny.

01:39:39 - 01:39:39 | Speaker 3:

But I'm good.

01:39:40 - 01:39:47 | Speaker 1:

What if it swells or like you're allergic? Oh my god Yeah wait a second That could be so bad

01:39:47 - 01:39:50 | Speaker 2:

Seriously we need to call him and check in on him

01:39:50 - 01:39:53 | Speaker 1:

Wait can we call him And do a little check up

01:39:53 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 2:

What if it's swelling Could you imagine if your penis swells

01:40:00 - 01:40:56 | Speaker 1:

Lydia, I'm going to send you his phone number. Real quick, I'd like to know, has anybody ever had this happen to them? If you have had this happen to you where you got stung on your private parts, that's pretty honest. I mean, I will say this to you. If you get brought into Corwell Health or Henry Ford or University of Michigan, whatever it is, and you go into the emergency room, the guy having a heart attack should not be treated with more urgency than the guy that got his penis stung. Coming from you. I got heart issues. Hold on. Bianca's dad, Al, is on the phone with us right now. What's up, Al? Good morning, Mojo. How you doing, buddy? I'm fantastic. How you doing? It was great seeing you on Friday, Al. Al. Same here. What's going on? What you calling for? just to see how you guys doing this morning

01:40:56 - 01:40:58 | Speaker 4:

oh okay I thought you were calling up

01:40:58 - 01:41:03 | Speaker 1:

I thought you were calling up because you got stung by a bee on a private spot

01:41:03 - 01:41:10 | Speaker 4:

oh yeah I'll tell you that story real quick I'll make it very short when we moved into our new house Al

01:41:10 - 01:41:15 | Speaker 1:

don't say very short when you're talking about your penis okay

01:41:15 - 01:41:18 | Speaker 4:

oh yeah okay no no no I won't say that

01:41:18 - 01:41:21 | Speaker 1:

what's going on

01:41:21 - 01:41:42 | Speaker 4:

When we first moved into our new house, you know, it was all a bunch of woods and stuff like that. I was weed whacking and edging the grass, and I had a beehive. And that beehive was a bunch of bees climbed over to my private part. And I was running, I swear to God, I was running around the neighborhood with nothing on. Oh, my God.

01:41:44 - 01:41:46 | Speaker 1:

Bianca, did you know this about your dad?

01:41:46 - 01:41:49 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I watched it the whole time while I was eating a bagel. I was like, oh, what's dad doing?

01:41:52 - 01:41:56 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I'm glad you're okay. I'm glad that... I'm okay. All right.

01:41:56 - 01:41:58 | Speaker 4:

My private was perfectly fine. Oh, good.

01:41:59 - 01:42:01 | Speaker 3:

I'm so happy that's the ending.

01:42:01 - 01:42:11 | Speaker 1:

Hold on. JD's on the phone with us right now. What's going on? How are you? Oh, no. JD, are you there? Are you still alive?

01:42:11 - 01:42:14 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm here. What's going on? I'm alive. I'm a survivor.

01:42:15 - 01:42:24 | Speaker 1:

I'm a fighter. By the way, I did ask for permission before I did this. You know that, right? unless somebody gave me the wrong info. Okay, all right.

01:42:24 - 01:42:27 | Speaker 2:

I wonder why you didn't go through me for that permission, but that's okay.

01:42:27 - 01:42:32 | Speaker 1:

I was going to, but I figured that it would be easier from Aaron to gall you up.

01:42:34 - 01:42:35 | Speaker 2:

No, it's all good, man.

01:42:35 - 01:42:39 | Speaker 1:

Are you okay? First off, Shannon had a question to ask about your penis. Go ahead, Shannon.

01:42:39 - 01:42:41 | Speaker 3:

Did it swell after you got stung?

01:42:43 - 01:42:57 | Speaker 2:

Well, it's interesting. It didn't swell. There was some weird coloring going on. And it was it was very scary. I don't like that people are making light of it.

01:42:58 - 01:43:00 | Speaker 3:

Did you have to go to the doctor?

01:43:01 - 01:43:19 | Speaker 2:

No, my funny thing is my family practice doc was actually there. And I think I think I think Mojo knows who she is. And uncomfortably, she asked to see it. In front of her husband.

01:43:20 - 01:43:35 | Speaker 1:

i uh i chose to just uh self uh evaluate take some venadryl that would have been awkward

01:43:35 - 01:43:56 | Speaker 2:

was it painful uh it was like it it was weird in that i was standing at the bar and i felt something and i i took a quick knee i like it took me to the ground and it kind of scared me and then that's when i it didn't hurt but yeah um i'm a i'm a very tough

01:43:56 - 01:44:02 | Speaker 1:

individual he is by the way by the way a champion two golfer from the weekend i understand is that

01:44:02 - 01:44:07 | Speaker 2:

right jd yeah the boys are starting to get a little rambunctious over there with the amount

01:44:07 - 01:44:24 | Speaker 1:

of winning i've been doing lately no despite the injury what an amazing golfer he golfed with an injury you know what this is like the michael jordan flu game this is amazing hold on real quick greg wants to comment greg what did you what stung you on your penis uh ants good morning

01:44:24 - 01:44:51 | Speaker 3:

oh my god like red ants yeah red ants i was a i was younger in my teens uh having some fun with a lady and uh didn't realize we were on top of an ant mount so i felt burning no it burned oh yeah It burned on my inner thighs, on my, what do you call it, the sack, and it made its way up.

01:44:53 - 01:44:55 | Speaker 4:

It burns! Wait.

01:44:57 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 3:

I'm confused about the situation of why this happened.

01:45:00 - 01:45:07 | Speaker 5:

You were just bare butt on the sidewalk? No, I was bare butt laying down on the ground with a lady.

01:45:07 - 01:45:07 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

01:45:08 - 01:45:09 | Speaker 5:

With an anthill.

01:45:10 - 01:45:10 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

01:45:10 - 01:45:16 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I landed on an anthill, and the intimacy went out the window really quick.

01:45:16 - 01:45:22 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Greg, say hi to my buddy, J.D., who also has a penis injury. Say hello.

01:45:22 - 01:45:25 | Speaker 5:

Hi, J.D., I'm a survivor, too.

01:45:25 - 01:45:32 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, Greg, Greg, Greg, that's a cute little story you have about a couple little ants

01:45:32 - 01:45:44 | Speaker 7:

biting you, but I caught off a bee, a giant bee, and I feel bad that your little Inman experience on top of a weird anthill happened, but...

01:45:44 - 01:45:51 | Speaker 2:

Hold on, wait a minute, hold on a second. Zach, Zach, what stung you on your private, Zach?

01:45:52 - 01:45:59 | Speaker 7:

I got hit by a jellyfish. I wrapped around and held on for dear life And I tell you what

01:45:59 - 01:46:07 | Speaker 2:

JD and Greg I think that Zach could have you guys beat I don't know What are your thoughts?

01:46:07 - 01:46:23 | Speaker 7:

I had a welt down my leg Well all around my parts Oh it was bad And I screamed like a girl It was a college party going skinny dipping Gone wrong A jelly

01:46:23 - 01:46:30 | Speaker 2:

Hold on, J.D., Greg, and Zach, I need to add Tyrone to this call. What's going on, Tyrone?

01:46:31 - 01:47:02 | Speaker 6:

Hey, yo, yo, yo, hey. I was doing my backyard, doing some cleaning up, hit a yellow jacket in there, and all them things went all up me. All I knew that they sung my woo-woos and my woo-woos. I ran into my garage. All my clothes was off. By the time I got to the garage, I didn't have no clothes on because I didn't know what was happening. And they were just stuck. It was like two of them stuck to me. And I was like, yeah, I was butt naked. Butt naked. Wow.

01:47:03 - 01:47:11 | Speaker 3:

We need a support group for men who have been stuck. Yeah, y'all do because y'all laughing. That hurt, man.

01:47:11 - 01:47:18 | Speaker 2:

That hurt. Yeah, but quick question for you, Tyrone. Did you go out and win a golf tournament that next day?

01:47:19 - 01:47:26 | Speaker 6:

Oh, hell no. All right.

01:47:26 - 01:47:29 | Speaker 7:

Tyrone knows what the deal is.

01:47:29 - 01:47:32 | Speaker 2:

You guys take care of your privates, please, okay?

01:47:33 - 01:47:34 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, thank you.

01:47:36 - 01:47:46 | Speaker 1:

Sophistication, intellect, culture, engaging discussion. You won't find any of that here. That last conversation proves it. This is Mojo in the morning.

01:47:46 - 01:47:49 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Hold on. Terry, what's up, Terry?

01:47:49 - 01:47:56 | Speaker 4:

hey so when i went to basic training a number of years ago one of the kids in my basic training

01:47:56 - 01:48:05 | Speaker 5:

class got bit on his nut by a brown recluse oh my gosh so he really did that bruises and blows up

01:48:05 - 01:48:15 | Speaker 3:

you have to go to the doctor for that he's he had to stay after uh when we all left for our follow-on schools he had to stay and get his nut removed

01:48:15 - 01:48:21 | Speaker 2:

He lost his nut Oh my god

01:48:21 - 01:48:25 | Speaker 4:

Oh my god I had water in my mouth When he said that I wasn't expecting Are you nuts

01:48:25 - 01:48:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh my god The poor guy You amputated a nut off of that one Oh my god Alright Mojo in the Morning second date update

01:48:36 - 01:48:39 | Speaker 1:

It's the second date update On Mojo in the Morning

01:48:39 - 01:48:51 | Speaker 2:

Nick is getting ghosted Where did you guys go out to Nick We went to a dive bar So you just went to a dive bar and hung out there For the night

01:48:51 - 01:48:58 | Speaker 7:

Yeah that was kind of the plan And she ended up coming over And we had sex

01:48:58 - 01:49:14 | Speaker 2:

Oh okay so you guys had sex And she's not calling you back You know how rare this is It's very rare and not rare That somebody doesn't call back after sex Usually the guys are the ones that are Notorious for doing this Oh, interesting

01:49:14 - 01:49:17 | Speaker 7:

I told her to call me when she got home

01:49:17 - 01:49:40 | Speaker 2:

But I haven't heard back It's interesting, I wonder how many guys are listening To the show right now, and if you are a guy That's listening, had sex with a girl And then she never called you back afterwards You should call us up and make Nick feel a little bit better She's on the phone with us right now To explain what's going on Lauren is on the phone Nick, say hi to Lauren Hey Hi

01:49:40 - 01:49:47 | Speaker 7:

i was i was worried that you didn't have a home

01:49:47 - 01:49:51 | Speaker 5:

that's why you never called back no no i didn't

01:49:53 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 2:

hey lauren oh my goodness lauren i preach first off can i tell you i appreciate you for answering

01:50:00 - 01:50:24 | Speaker 1:

our messages that we were leaving you because we get a lot of people that leave us on red and don't actually come on the air with us so thank you for doing um yeah no worries so i mentioned it's very rare that it's the woman not calling back so talk to me talk to me about what it is with nick

01:50:24 - 01:50:53 | Speaker 3:

are you not interested or what's going on um there was one thing that was like just really massive for me and it was um his nightlight okay he has this gigantic um nightlight that he has and he refuses to sleep in the dark i think he's like legitimately afraid of the dark

01:50:53 - 01:51:21 | Speaker 1:

come on and so that's got to be a load of crap there's no there so that you're you're doing this all over a nightlight you're you're not calling him back because the guy has a nightlight hello did i lose you too oh no lauren she's ghosting us did i lose her lydia get lauren back on the phone nick are you afraid of the dark

01:51:22 - 01:51:23 | Speaker 2:

How big is this thing?

01:51:23 - 01:51:30 | Speaker 4:

No, I'm not pretty dark. It's just like if the power goes out, like, I need to be able to navigate around.

01:51:30 - 01:51:35 | Speaker 5:

If the power goes out, the nightlight goes out, my friend. Well, it depends what kind of nightlight.

01:51:35 - 01:51:39 | Speaker 4:

No, there's like a battery function in that thing. It'll keep it alive for a little bit longer.

01:51:39 - 01:51:40 | Speaker 2:

How bright is it?

01:51:41 - 01:51:47 | Speaker 4:

Is this like a normal nightlight? I think it's just a normal. I think it's a normal nightlight. I think she's just overreacting.

01:51:47 - 01:52:00 | Speaker 1:

So, real quick, you have the nightlight plugged in. You didn't purposely just put the thing in there because you were having her over. It's just something that's there all the time, right?

01:52:02 - 01:52:06 | Speaker 4:

No, this wasn't an attempt at flattery, so I could see better. This was just a thing that's in my room.

01:52:06 - 01:52:15 | Speaker 1:

This is what you normally do. He's got the nightlight. Okay. All right. Fair. Hold on. Lauren's back with us. Lauren, did we offend you, or did you have a bad cell service?

01:52:15 - 01:52:23 | Speaker 3:

oh no i was i was on um and it just stopped um i couldn't hear you guys i don't know what

01:52:23 - 01:52:39 | Speaker 1:

oh you couldn't hear okay well so lauren he has had that nightlight for a while and you i'm assuming nick do you use that nightlight to be able to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night like without walking in the walls so that's literally the only reason

01:52:39 - 01:52:44 | Speaker 4:

it's there yeah if it was bothersome you could have unplugged it but it's just it's a normal

01:52:44 - 01:52:50 | Speaker 5:

nightlight so do you uh so you made an assumption lauren that he was afraid of the dark and that's

01:52:50 - 01:52:57 | Speaker 3:

what the nightlight's for i yes that that was part of the conversation

01:52:57 - 01:53:20 | Speaker 1:

man i i kind of feel bad for the poor guy because like i i like to sleep with uh the tv yeah well i like to have the tv for that reason like you know just kind of like make me know that i'm not gonna like there's nothing worse than stubbing your freaking toe on a piece of furniture or something that's you know you ever do that i

01:53:20 - 01:53:35 | Speaker 5:

just feel like everybody has different sleep habits and to me having a little light on is no different than like leaving the hallway light on and cracking your door or leaving the tv on or having a noise machine or you know like yeah why didn't you say something about it like hey can we

01:53:35 - 01:54:07 | Speaker 3:

unplug yeah i yeah i probably should have um but because then you would have realized too that he didn't need it he wasn't afraid of the dark right yeah yeah no i i understand i just was like you know it's obviously not my place and and stuff so i i just got a little bit um weirded out and i i didn't want to say anything but yeah that's yeah the night light was the was a massive issue hold

01:54:07 - 01:54:18 | Speaker 1:

on one sec uh adrian's on the phone adrian are you there yeah i'm here man what's going on Adrian, you hear this? Nick, Nick's not getting a call back in. Yeah.

01:54:19 - 01:54:36 | Speaker 2:

So at first I was kind of laughing a little bit, man, but then I thought about it. All our females got like LEDs in their bedroom nowadays too. So, I mean, what's the difference? What? I know a lot of people do. I know men too.

01:54:36 - 01:54:39 | Speaker 3:

Oh, like the strips of light. Like around their TV or something, yeah.

01:54:40 - 01:54:48 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, like they have it lit up like a studio at no time. So it's like you get red lights. Yeah, you're right. It's no different.

01:54:49 - 01:54:56 | Speaker 1:

It's no different. Are you sympathizing with Nick Adrian because you're a guy that also didn't get called back after a girl had sex with you?

01:54:59 - 01:54:59 | Unknown:

All right.

01:55:00 - 01:55:05 | Speaker 7:

So that's really why I caught, but I had to think about it, man. Yeah. Why did she? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

01:55:05 - 01:55:09 | Speaker 1:

So you had sex with a girl and she didn't call you. Why do you think that was?

01:55:10 - 01:55:15 | Speaker 7:

Oh, man, there's been plenty of times I had. What do you think a one-night stand is, bro?

01:55:15 - 01:55:19 | Speaker 1:

I understand, but usually it's the guy that causes the one-night stand, I think.

01:55:20 - 01:55:24 | Speaker 7:

I mean, it could go both ways, I feel like. I don't know.

01:55:24 - 01:55:25 | Unknown:

Okay.

01:55:25 - 01:55:34 | Speaker 7:

I had plenty of times that I had sex with women and they didn't call me back. Not because I felt like it was a bad time. I just felt like it was a good time.

01:55:34 - 01:55:34 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:55:35 - 01:55:41 | Speaker 1:

Not a long time. Hold on, Amanda. What's up, Amanda? It's Mojo in the morning.

01:55:42 - 01:56:21 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. So I was just going to say that, like, I don't think she should have ghosted him over it by any means. But I do get that, like, sleep habits are very important for you two to be, like, aligned on. obviously if it were to like move forward and then you end up like getting married or moving in together um like my husband has to sleep with some sort of like either sound or like you know some podcast or something playing yeah um and like now i'm the same way uh so i can kind of understand why she was like no this would be a really big deal breaker but i definitely think

01:56:21 - 01:56:42 | Speaker 1:

she should have said something first i agree i agree what do you think what would you be more annoyed by if you weren't somebody that likes noisemakers or a light that's on. I think it's different if the guy sleeps with lights on or a woman sleeps with lights on compared to a nightlight unless it was so bright that you just couldn't get it

01:56:42 - 01:56:45 | Speaker 3:

out of your head. Yeah, see, I love a noisemaker. Me too. I sleep with one every night.

01:56:47 - 01:57:00 | Speaker 1:

Doesn't the guy want you to be the noisemaker? I mean, I hate to say this, but if Kev were here, he would... With Kev's not here, first off, I feel like almost I have to say the comments that he's going to... No, you don't.

01:57:00 - 01:57:02 | Speaker 6:

Don't, because he's going to get in trouble for his comments anyway.

01:57:02 - 01:57:03 | Speaker 1:

Okay, all right.

01:57:03 - 01:57:04 | Speaker 6:

You're going to dump yourself.

01:57:05 - 01:57:06 | Speaker 1:

Ron, what do you think about this, Ron?

01:57:07 - 01:57:18 | Speaker 5:

Man, what's the word, bro? She really just didn't like old dude or he wasn't at home. For sure. Because if he was knocking the stuffing out of that muffin, she wouldn't be tripping about no little nightlighters, though.

01:57:19 - 01:57:21 | Speaker 1:

Were you knocking the stuffing out of the muffin, Nick?

01:57:21 - 01:57:39 | Speaker 5:

Ron is a legend. Listen, like, it makes sense if somebody comes into the room in the middle of the night, you can see him, you're not freaked out. Exactly. He's coming into your room, lock your door.

01:57:39 - 01:57:42 | Speaker 1:

Intruders. What's up, Trevor? How you doing? Intruders.

01:57:42 - 01:58:00 | Speaker 6:

Yo, yo, man, all I was going to say is I feel bad for this guy because, for real, I'll be stubbing my toe every single night. Oh, my God, you guys. It's pitch dark. It is pitch dark in my room. We have our daughter sleeping in there, so we don't have a light in there. And I swear, I'd be breaking my toes in there.

01:58:00 - 01:58:02 | Speaker 1:

With your daughter, you step on her toys.

01:58:02 - 01:58:08 | Speaker 2:

So much lack of grace. You guys can't maneuver in the dark. I'm shocked at how big of an issue this is.

01:58:08 - 01:58:12 | Speaker 1:

I always hated stepping on my kids' toys in the middle of the night. Oh, it's the worst.

01:58:12 - 01:58:16 | Speaker 2:

I guess so, yeah. I mean, maybe with kids, but I've never had that issue.

01:58:17 - 01:58:18 | Speaker 1:

Sarah, what's going on?

01:58:19 - 01:58:53 | Speaker 8:

Good morning, everyone. I'm listening to this lady's comment, okay? If I go home and sleep with someone and I'm not calling them back, he used the nightlight as an excuse, but his sex must have been garbage. And I'm listening to the other guy. The other guy said, yeah, and the other guy that just called, he said, y'all have one night stares all the time. Your sex is garbage as well. Because if I get some good sex, I'm calling your ass back. Tell him. Sarah I'm calling you back I might call you back Before I get home

01:58:53 - 01:59:09 | Speaker 1:

Oh my god This has been The greatest hour of radio I think we've ever had

01:59:09 - 01:59:11 | Speaker 3:

The callers are amazing

01:59:11 - 01:59:12 | Speaker 1:

My buddy JD is

01:59:12 - 01:59:15 | Speaker 2:

Is he mad at you?

01:59:15 - 01:59:16 | Speaker 1:

He's not mad

01:59:16 - 01:59:18 | Speaker 2:

How did you not get permission from him? Who'd you get permission from?

01:59:19 - 01:59:50 | Speaker 1:

So a mutual friend. I said, because he's the one that sent me the video. I wasn't in the group text getting that video. It was a different group text. But then now I'm getting text messages from every other guy that we all know wanting to hear the full audio of that. Because they thought that I was going to do it later in the morning because it was about getting stung on his penis. The last couple of topics have been amazing, Lydia. Does that mean that the rest of the show is going to be this equally as amazing?

01:59:50 - 01:59:52 | Speaker 3:

Don't get your hopes up. Keep going.

01:59:55 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 1:

You know, do you remember the days, Lydia, when you always had the positive, like.

02:00:00 - 02:00:09 | Speaker 3:

Like, this life is going to, our show is going to be amazing today. You would pump everybody up. You've fallen victim to being around me a little too much, haven't you?

02:00:09 - 02:00:15 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I think I take things a little bit more harder now. I know. Because, you know, there are things that you like that I don't, and then it's vice versa.

02:00:16 - 02:00:28 | Speaker 3:

I'd like to get Shannon's great-looking friend that said that you should be more confident in yourself to talk to you, Lydia. Is there any way, Shannon, you can talk to that person and ask them to confess?

02:00:28 - 02:00:29 | Speaker 5:

For sure.

02:00:30 - 02:00:54 | Speaker 3:

Hold on real quick, real quick before we do anything. I'm going to give away Summer of Cars, Cash, and Gas. Call now to win a $50 gas card and qualify for a $28,000 2026 Chevy Trax from Gordon Chevrolet or $20,000. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 95th caller. Baby Leg Jay is on the phone with us right now. It can only get better. What's up, Baby Leg Jay?

02:00:55 - 02:00:58 | Speaker 5:

Hey, hey, hey, how you doing? How y'all doing this morning?

02:00:58 - 02:01:05 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. Your voice is making me vibrate right now. You are so silly. What's happening?

02:01:06 - 02:01:14 | Speaker 5:

I know I was calling, telling me what the dude said about the nightlight. Said she worried about the wrong thing. Her lights must not have been knocked out.

02:01:15 - 02:01:16 | Speaker 1:

That part.

02:01:16 - 02:01:23 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, knock her lights out. Oh, my God. Why did I take this call? Come on, Jay.

02:01:23 - 02:01:25 | Speaker 3:

That's the best we got out of you?

02:01:26 - 02:01:28 | Speaker 5:

She, her lights ain't getting knocked out.

02:01:28 - 02:01:38 | Speaker 3:

Okay. All right. Second time around. I get it. Well, thank you, Jay. It was good to talk to you. This is Mojo in the Morning Misfit, Baby Leg Jay. What do you got going on today? What's in your world today?

02:01:40 - 02:01:42 | Speaker 5:

Making some money. I'm at work. Having fun.

02:01:42 - 02:01:53 | Speaker 3:

All right. Go make some money. Go make it. Please. Oh, yeah. For sure. Talk to you, buddy. I'll talk to you soon. For sure. Lydia, I think you might have been right.

02:01:54 - 02:01:57 | Speaker 1:

Vice versa. Bianca and I were cracking up in here over there.

02:01:57 - 02:02:02 | Speaker 3:

Come on. After the last call of the Second Tate Update, that was an amazing phone call.

02:02:03 - 02:02:05 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:02:06 - 02:02:14 | Speaker 3:

Shannon is going to only make our ears feel fantastic with a Dirty on the 30, stuff that you need to know before you go anywhere today. What do you got, Shannon?

02:02:14 - 02:02:28 | Speaker 4:

Well, everybody's going to be talking about the number one movie at the box office over the weekend, and that is Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. It stunned, taking in $124.5 million, defying all expectations.

02:02:28 - 02:02:54 | Speaker 2:

I think his king is coming back. This morning, another blockbuster at the box office, boosting Hollywood's summer resurgence after years of post-pandemic challenges. Crowds flocking to see the Odyssey, which beat expectations. The movie, which cost $250 million to produce, took in $264 million worldwide in its debut weekend. Part of the excitement? The big screen format.

02:02:54 - 02:03:09 | Speaker 6:

audiences are coming out to see the film in the way Christopher Nolan shot it which is the 70 millimeter IMAX screen there's not that many of those screens around the world but they want the big screen immersive experience some

02:03:09 - 02:03:41 | Speaker 2:

theaters adding 3 a.m. and even 6 a.m. screenings oh my name selling out for the next month 6 a.m. seats in the front row it's been too long cowboy meanwhile Toy Story 5 from ABC's parent company Disney is now closing in on 1 billion dollars at the box office other summer hits were low-budget surprises back rooms made with just 10 million dollars and obsession made with just 750,000 it

02:03:41 - 02:03:50 | Speaker 6:

is Gen Z Millennials they are coming out they are leaving their screens they're leaving tick-tock behind they want to step away and have this communal

02:03:50 - 02:04:01 | Speaker 2:

experience of being in a movie theater and up next spider-man brand new day swinging into theaters later this Friday our George Stephanopoulos sat down with spider-man himself they let me into

02:04:01 - 02:04:14 | Speaker 7:

the writer's room and it was a fascinating experience I guess I didn't realize the power I have for spider-man because I would picture an idea go away for a week come back and they'd be like here's your idea you didn't realize that you're the star no I just I always just you know

02:04:14 - 02:04:31 | Speaker 4:

I'm always like pinching we already have tickets for spider-man I mean like crazy yeah we're celebrating my stepdaughter's birthday that night because she's like a marvel nut and yeah that's gonna be a huge one too big big movies right now i'm happy for uh you know mjr i'm happy for

02:04:31 - 02:04:46 | Speaker 3:

imagines like the theater companies that are out there in the theaters it's nice to get people back and it's honestly to hear them say that it's younger and younger so you know you're not sitting in front of your phone or stuff you know although you're on your phone in the theater i guarantee

02:04:46 - 02:04:48 | Speaker 4:

You go on your phone during the movie?

02:04:48 - 02:04:49 | Speaker 3:

People do.

02:04:49 - 02:04:50 | Speaker 4:

I put mine on airplane mode.

02:04:50 - 02:04:50 | Unknown:

I hate that.

02:04:51 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 3:

There are people all the time when I've been in, you know. That drives me absolutely nuts. See the light kind of. It's like the night light from Nick in the second date update.

02:05:00 - 02:05:25 | Speaker 2:

At least 10 people were wounded in a mass shooting in downtown Tucson, Arizona, around two o'clock yesterday morning after a gunman opened fire on East Congress Street. And if I could describe this to you, it's like a really always very busy, crowded area downtown known for its like bars and restaurants and shops and nightlife. The suspect allegedly tried to flee the scene before he was shot by a responding police officer.

02:05:25 - 02:05:44 | Speaker 1:

What I can tell you is that this began around 2 a.m. We had a number of uniformed patrol officers in a district area near downtown. As I understand, those officers were on foot patrol, at which time they heard gunshots. Those officers immediately began running towards the sound of the gunfire. And in doing so, they came upon the suspect.

02:05:45 - 02:06:04 | Speaker 2:

No deaths, but again, nine victims suffered gunshot wounds, including the shooter. Wow. And lastly, Kelly Clarkson doing a residency right now in Las Vegas. and she said something to her audience over the weekend that made a lot of people raise their eyebrows. Did she actually leave NBC on her own accord or did she get fired?

02:06:05 - 02:06:40 | Speaker 5:

I would get fired at NBC, but I don't work there anymore. Which we are sad about. It's a fun show, but it is funny. You go to those HR meetings, and you're like, nobody on the road would last. It's just a different world, you know? It's a different world. like I was 19 on a bus of dudes what I can't do what like you can't comment like if someone's lost weight and I'm like

02:06:42 - 02:06:46 | Speaker 3:

they would tell her that that she couldn't say

02:06:52 - 02:06:58 | Speaker 5:

I was like, I just think that's so dumb. Like, so that makes people feel good when you say, oh, you look really good.

02:06:59 - 02:07:01 | Speaker 3:

Her show had huge ratings. I know.

02:07:02 - 02:07:05 | Speaker 5:

You meant they did look really bad. It's like, or it just means it's improved.

02:07:06 - 02:07:16 | Speaker 3:

It's interesting that she's no longer doing the daytime talk show. I thought maybe she was bored with it or whatever, but it sounded to me like they were. Maybe there was a little bit of drama.

02:07:16 - 02:07:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Hey, miss anything from today? Go back. Catch up on the podcast on the iHeartRadio app.

Yes, I sure will. Thanks.

02:08:28 - 02:08:43 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the morning, we went to Yacht Rock on Friday. That was actually fun. I don't know how you guys felt about Yacht Rock music, because I know we jokingly, like, I think I'm the only one that honestly gets into Yacht Rock music.

02:08:44 - 02:08:54 | Speaker 2:

No, so I don't know if you went inside to where all like the food was and stuff and they had dueling pianos doing Yacht Rock and that was, they were so super good. They were, that was really fun.

02:08:55 - 02:09:01 | Speaker 3:

It's songs that you go, oh my God, I know that song, but you don't know who sang the song. Yeah. Like Matt said, one hit wonders.

02:09:02 - 02:09:04 | Speaker 2:

Yep. Matt's still in his Yacht Rock attire. He just walked in.

02:09:05 - 02:09:05 | Speaker 3:

Oh my gosh.

02:09:05 - 02:09:07 | Speaker 2:

I don't think he's changed all weekend.

02:09:07 - 02:09:10 | Speaker 6:

I just went out there and he was like, Bianca, I got to talk to you about Friday. It was so good.

02:09:11 - 02:09:12 | Speaker 3:

I love it. It was fun.

02:09:12 - 02:09:15 | Speaker 6:

He was on our Instagram. Did you see it? Yeah, he looked good with the glasses.

02:09:15 - 02:09:34 | Speaker 3:

I loved that we got everybody together, too, at iHeart. It was fun to be able to spend time with coworkers. It was fun to see Lydia's mom and dad, George and Sian there. They were great. Bianca, your parents were there. Yeah, I am. It was so great. And are they all friends? Like, are your parents and Lydia's parents friends?

02:09:35 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Well, they became friends from working here, but yeah. And they had so much fun on Friday, they went all back again on Saturday. They did? All four of them? Yeah, without me and Lydia. So, like, my parents and Lydia's parents all hung out Saturday night. Oh, I love that. Yeah. They were making me take off my wristbands. So me and Bryce were in the parking lot taking off our two-day wristbands so we can give them to my aunt so she can go. And then Lydia's, yeah. I don't know.

02:10:00 - 02:10:13 | Speaker 1:

if i was supposed to say that actually i bet you hasan could have gotten you free passes yeah it's fine the people at the rooster tail were awesome and if they do it again next year which i'm assuming they have to right it was such a big event you should go to it apparently they had

02:10:13 - 02:10:18 | Speaker 2:

it last year too we didn't go we thought it was like boring well it's not well now i know i don't

02:10:18 - 02:10:54 | Speaker 1:

know why we didn't go last year i thought it was fun i had fun with um lydia's you know parents and bianca's parents and i always try to do this whenever i meet family of you guys as i like to like talk about how good you guys are because you guys are really amazing at what you do oh let me tell you bianca's such a good worker and she's so hard working well then i get into a conversation with uh bianca's uh mom about her relationship and lydia or i'm sorry who brought it up what is your name bianca bianca bianca got mad you're mad at me because of this yeah because they were

02:10:54 - 02:11:23 | Speaker 2:

talking spit about me in front of me you and my mom we never your mom loves you and i love you so at first started talking well you started talking about how good and how hard working i was you know you do your natural spiel every time you talk to my family say the same thing over and over again and then you say something he's up he said tony travato loves bianca too by the way and then my mom goes yeah but she facetimes bryce too much which had no part of the conversation by the way i don't know why that was brought up why are you looking at me like i don't know your

02:11:23 - 02:11:27 | Speaker 1:

mom brought it up she's your mother she gave birth to you so you're talking about me facetime

02:11:27 - 02:11:43 | Speaker 2:

and bryce by the way so much so much and then you're like well you know sherry you're at that age too with al and stuff and she starts talking about her relationship and then it goes into mojo saying yeah you know sometimes i just worry about bianca's mental and physical health wait what

02:11:43 - 02:12:04 | Speaker 1:

i've never heard of this i was trying to basically say that i think that you burn the candle on both ends a little bit too much like you okay you work she works a lot yeah and then she's got bryce and her relationship which i feel like they went from zero to a hundred yeah and i want you to

02:12:04 - 02:12:18 | Speaker 2:

be able to rest and take care of yourself so that's a nicer way to say i don't know if you guys know this but i do have a life and i have friends and i have hobbies and you didn't know that you don't have any friends anymore i do have ashton ashton is one of my friends i got emily

02:12:18 - 02:12:23 | Speaker 1:

Let's call Ashton, Emily, and Sam, and Emma, and let's ask them how much you see them.

02:12:23 - 02:12:25 | Speaker 2:

I do. I was with my other friend yesterday.

02:12:25 - 02:12:36 | Speaker 3:

You always act like I have no friends because I don't post them that much. I have never said that. I do kind of agree with Moto, though. Do you rest? Like, do you chill? Honestly, because you are very, very busy, and I get this.

02:12:36 - 02:12:45 | Speaker 2:

I don't like sitting at home. That's the thing. Like, I don't like to sit down and rest. What about sleeping, though? How much sleep are you doing? I go to bed at, like, 11 o'clock every day. Okay, but there's Kevin sending his salads at 12 in the morning.

02:12:46 - 02:12:49 | Speaker 1:

Listen, I try to parent all of you kids.

02:12:49 - 02:12:49 | Speaker 2:

I know.

02:12:50 - 02:12:52 | Speaker 1:

And nobody ever takes my advice. But that didn't come out right.

02:12:53 - 02:13:03 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I know. Because he said your mental and physical health. And I'm like, this girl's going to be in the gym tomorrow. I was in the gym all weekend because you got me in my head. So I was at a workout class yesterday, workout class Saturday.

02:13:04 - 02:13:12 | Speaker 1:

I worry. Everybody always talks about their mental and physical health. And I want everybody's mental and physical health to be good because I don't want it to crash. And then all of a sudden I got to deal with that.

02:13:12 - 02:13:15 | Speaker 2:

Do you think my mental health is not good? Like, I feel like I'm the most energetic here sometimes.

02:13:15 - 02:13:26 | Speaker 1:

Have you listened to yourself? I don't know if you... Let me ask the listeners that. Do you think Bianca's mental health is good?

02:13:27 - 02:13:44 | Speaker 2:

I've been saying some things off the wall sometimes. But, listen, my mom likes to say these things all the time just to get other people's perspectives. And then you go home in the car sometimes and she's like, You know, did you hear a mojo say how you were like that? See, it's not just me, Bianca. Everyone says it, too. That's what she does.

02:13:44 - 02:14:24 | Speaker 1:

I cause problems and then Chelsea says I do this all the time I will start fights with couples that are friends of ours because I'll play Dr. Phil I'll be a therapist or what's her name that's now the podcasting therapist lady that always gives positive urge are you talking about Mel Robbins I'm Mel Robbins and I give a comment to somebody and then Chelsea would go hey do you remember when you told And I'm like, what? And she goes, you know, they're now getting a divorce. Is it really that bad? I feel like I'm just trying to speak from experience. Like, you know what I mean?

02:14:25 - 02:14:31 | Speaker 2:

I do that too. Yeah. Like, if I see my friends at a party, I'll be like, okay, are you guys going to go on a date? Are you going to ask her out? Like, how are you going to treat her? I do that all the time.

02:14:31 - 02:14:36 | Speaker 3:

They're like, Bianca, do you just need to shut up? Is everybody, do you feel like everybody's on your case about your relationship?

02:14:36 - 02:14:37 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

02:14:37 - 02:14:40 | Speaker 3:

About it moving too fast? Or are you guys spending too much time together?

02:14:41 - 02:14:48 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah, and we did a topic before of how I'm on my phone too much, and then that kind of segued into a whole different conversation of how—

02:14:48 - 02:14:49 | Speaker 1:

That was Bryce being mad, right?

02:14:49 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 2:

Yes, but then it got into a whole conversation of, like, is he too controlling, or am I too overprotective over him? No. I don't think it is that way.

02:15:00 - 02:15:03 | Speaker 5:

I feel like a lot of people don't really support, like, our relationship sometimes.

02:15:03 - 02:15:06 | Speaker 4:

As long as the call is me calling you. Go ahead, I'm sorry.

02:15:06 - 02:15:11 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, go ahead. If it's Mojo, I got to drop everything for him, right? I got you, baby. But anyways.

02:15:12 - 02:15:12 | Speaker 4:

Habibi.

02:15:12 - 02:15:21 | Speaker 5:

Habibi. No, but actually, I do think a lot of times people think, oh, like, you are always with Bryce, or is Bryce too controlling because he's texting you all the time? But I don't think it is that way.

02:15:22 - 02:15:27 | Speaker 4:

Bryce is definitely not a controlling guy. If anything, honestly, I worry that you're going to be controlling of him.

02:15:27 - 02:15:30 | Speaker 5:

I do think that sometimes, too. Do you want me to tell you something?

02:15:30 - 02:15:30 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:15:30 - 02:15:36 | Speaker 5:

We figured out our wedding venue. Oh, wow. Bianca Taji. Just throw that out there.

02:15:36 - 02:15:40 | Speaker 2:

Wait. He's 19 years old.

02:15:40 - 02:15:54 | Speaker 5:

It's going to be at the Rooster Tail. You ain't helping your kids. Are you joking? You're joking. No, I would love to put a deposit down and make a date for the Rooster Tail. He couldn't even drink champagne at his own wedding. I know. He was...

02:15:54 - 02:15:55 | Speaker 4:

Chelsea was...

02:15:55 - 02:15:55 | Speaker 5:

I know.

02:15:56 - 02:15:56 | Speaker 4:

20.

02:15:56 - 02:15:59 | Speaker 5:

Yes, exactly. My mom was 19. Okay, who cares? So it can work.

02:16:00 - 02:16:01 | Speaker 4:

Chelsea just turned 21.

02:16:01 - 02:16:03 | Speaker 5:

All my friends are getting married right now. They're like 22.

02:16:04 - 02:16:06 | Speaker 4:

I'm not getting married. And when she had a baby. Actually, she was 20 at the time.

02:16:06 - 02:16:06 | Speaker 5:

I'm not getting married.

02:16:07 - 02:16:08 | Speaker 4:

What's going on, Amanda? How you doing?

02:16:09 - 02:16:10 | Unknown:

Good morning.

02:16:10 - 02:16:24 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, when does this girl sleep? Because I wake up at 9 o'clock in the morning, she's on the radio. I get off work at 2, 3 o'clock in the morning, she's on the radio. I had made a comment on socials one time, like, when does this girl actually sleep? She is so busy.

02:16:24 - 02:16:28 | Speaker 4:

And she thinks I'm talking crap to her mom about her. I'm worried about her.

02:16:29 - 02:16:39 | Speaker 5:

Listen, I sleep from like 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. That's my night shift. Yeah, that's four hours. That's not enough sleep, girl. Listen, Mojo sleeps for four hours too, right?

02:16:39 - 02:16:46 | Speaker 4:

Look at my health. Look at me. I would look like Matthew McConaughey if I actually slept.

02:16:46 - 02:16:53 | Speaker 6:

You know, I just need to really get in. I mean, I don't sleep a lot either. I'm like a walking zombie. There's days where I'm just on autopilot.

02:16:53 - 02:17:03 | Speaker 5:

My track coach told me, I don't know why I ever did track. My track coach told me, you can just sleep when you're 80, so you can do everything else now.

02:17:03 - 02:17:06 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. That's what you got to do. And where's he?

02:17:06 - 02:17:09 | Speaker 5:

I don't know where he's at. Is he dead? Hopefully still coaching.

02:17:10 - 02:17:11 | Speaker 4:

You guys are dead.

02:17:11 - 02:17:13 | Speaker 5:

He hated me because I could not run. I don't know why I was on the track team.

02:17:13 - 02:17:18 | Speaker 4:

Hey, what do you think, Amanda, over under on how soon Bianca and Bryce end up getting married?

02:17:22 - 02:17:25 | Speaker 6:

They'll be engaged within the next year and a half. Oh, for sure.

02:17:25 - 02:17:27 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no. Engaged?

02:17:27 - 02:17:28 | Speaker 2:

A year and a half. Yeah, you will in a year and a half.

02:17:29 - 02:17:30 | Speaker 5:

We've only been dating for seven months, guys.

02:17:30 - 02:17:33 | Speaker 2:

You just said you wanted to put a deposit down on a wedding venue.

02:17:33 - 02:17:40 | Speaker 6:

You guys, my husband flew in from Texas, and five months later we were married. We just celebrated our 15th year anniversary.

02:17:41 - 02:17:54 | Speaker 5:

Do you understand this man is a minor? Yeah, I know. Let's let him work a little bit. Let me work a little bit. Listen, when I'm 26, maybe I'll get engaged. That's like, what, three, four years? Yeah. All right.

02:17:54 - 02:17:56 | Speaker 4:

That's good. Lydia's been very quiet.

02:17:56 - 02:17:59 | Speaker 6:

At least 21, so you can drink at the wedding. Thank you.

02:17:59 - 02:18:02 | Speaker 4:

Lydia's been very quiet during this whole thing. Lydia, you have thoughts?

02:18:03 - 02:18:14 | Speaker 5:

Well, Bianca, I mean, if you think that you want to get married this young, you go right on ahead. Sounds like she doesn't want to. I need to let Lydia get married first before me. No, because you'll be waiting forever. Don't do that.

02:18:14 - 02:18:18 | Speaker 4:

I found a guy for Lydia, and I didn't want to say anything, but I'm going to talk about it in the meeting.

02:18:18 - 02:18:21 | Speaker 5:

No, I found a guy for Lydia. Remember that dupe?

02:18:22 - 02:18:31 | Speaker 4:

No. A Chaldean, too. You, Chaldean's son of a very, very prominent attorney in town.

02:18:31 - 02:18:32 | Speaker 2:

Ooh.

02:18:32 - 02:18:33 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

02:18:33 - 02:18:35 | Speaker 3:

Sounds like a good catch.

02:18:35 - 02:18:39 | Speaker 4:

Lydia doesn't like to date Chaldean guys. Well, she's got to like this one because we're arranged marriage-ing it.

02:18:39 - 02:18:40 | Speaker 5:

We're doing arranged marriage.

02:18:40 - 02:18:43 | Speaker 4:

And the wedding's at the Rooster Tail. Yeah, we can do a double wedding.

02:18:44 - 02:18:50 | Speaker 5:

How about that, Lydia? We share a wedding? Tell Bryce to bring his fake. Oh, he's using my brothers. Oh, gosh.

02:18:50 - 02:18:53 | Speaker 4:

All right, I got a break. I was feeling too much information. We'll be right back.

02:21:47 - 02:21:49 | Speaker 5:

I think he lands tonight at like midnight.

02:21:49 - 02:21:50 | Unknown:

Wow.

02:21:50 - 02:21:51 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, he's been gone for a while.

02:21:51 - 02:22:00 | Speaker 4:

What a trip. I've been following his post on social media. His story on social media. First off, it looks amazing.

02:22:00 - 02:22:24 | Speaker 5:

It looks beautiful. This is the trip that I talked about last week that he's taking with his son. my stepson kieran um who's going to be a sophomore at state this year and they are doing like a a camping road trip through um utah idaho montana and wyoming so like jackson hole yellow yellow stone grand teton yeah they're doing all the all the national parks it's funny when you mention

02:22:24 - 02:22:30 | Speaker 4:

yellowstone and grand tetons i couldn't tell you on a map where i think that's right i think that

02:22:30 - 02:22:37 | Speaker 5:

those are the right parks yeah jackson hole they went to big sky montana like i know i know montana

02:22:37 - 02:22:41 | Speaker 4:

and then you know state and stuff i probably couldn't pick it it looks beautiful like those

02:22:41 - 02:22:47 | Speaker 5:

places are all in my bucket list i just don't want to do it in an rv and a camper it's not an rv though

02:22:47 - 02:22:52 | Speaker 4:

it's a van it's not even an rv it's a van can i be honest with you it's bougie it's a bougie van

02:22:52 - 02:22:59 | Speaker 5:

it is it's like a mercedes sprinter but it's been decked out with a bed and a kitchen he showed he

02:22:59 - 02:23:04 | Speaker 4:

showed uh you know their transportation and i looked and i'm like oh my god i'd love to do this

02:23:04 - 02:23:09 | Speaker 5:

they didn't they don't have internet very often you would not love to do it really yeah his service

02:23:09 - 02:23:16 | Speaker 4:

has been so super spotty he seems very risky too like yeah he's dumb what do you mean he's dumb

02:23:16 - 02:23:58 | Speaker 5:

because i said to him and i love my husband i feel like i always have to say i love my husband and i do but i said to him before he left because we had just gotten done talking about that grandfather that got tossed into the air eight feet by a bison at Yellowstone. And I said, please do not be in my prep on Monday morning. Don't be dumb and try to take a selfie, you know, next to some crazy wild animal. And what is he doing? He posts videos of himself with a grizzly bear. Yeah. You guys saw it. What? Ten? Maybe ten feet away. He did the same thing with moose, bison. You are an idiot.

02:23:59 - 02:24:11 | Speaker 4:

One of the pictures, and I don't know what animal it is. Is it a moose? One of the pictures, it looked like the man, the old man that got knocked in the air. It looked like that same animal.

02:24:11 - 02:24:19 | Speaker 5:

And then yesterday, he kept FaceTiming me. So he had service. And I was getting my nails done, so I couldn't answer the phone.

02:24:20 - 02:24:21 | Speaker 4:

Wait. Hold on.

02:24:21 - 02:24:21 | Speaker 5:

What?

02:24:22 - 02:24:24 | Speaker 4:

He texted you. And you're getting your nail?

02:24:25 - 02:24:26 | Speaker 5:

He was FaceTiming me.

02:24:26 - 02:24:37 | Speaker 4:

well my nails are this i know but you can't have the the nail lady like i think that's i think that's so rude and also my nail i was like getting was getting eaten by an animal i told him not to

02:24:37 - 02:24:49 | Speaker 5:

be an idiot and he was being an idiot and that's why he facetimed me he's like oh because i when i got out i was like oh i'm so sorry i was getting my nails done i didn't have my phone right in front of me and he said it's okay we were just around a bunch of caribou and i wanted to facetime

02:24:49 - 02:24:58 | Speaker 6:

you with the caribou i'm like hold on in his defense so stupid these animals look like they They could not care less that he's right there.

02:24:58 - 02:25:05 | Speaker 4:

What does a caribou look like? like i don't know if they're nice or not but i feel like they're just uh blissfully unaware that

02:25:05 - 02:25:16 | Speaker 1:

humans are right do you know what a caribou looks like no a caribou look at that that's like a moose oh wow that's not what i thought a caribou's got antlers that will like literally maul you

02:25:16 - 02:25:23 | Speaker 3:

and like moose for example people think they're so cute they're very very very mean and aggressive

02:25:23 - 02:25:26 | Speaker 1:

So it's funny. So, Wes.

02:25:27 - 02:25:28 | Speaker 3:

He can't hear you.

02:25:29 - 02:25:34 | Speaker 1:

The man literally could have been calling you to tell you, this is my last wish for you.

02:25:34 - 02:25:39 | Speaker 3:

Well, I needed to get my nails done and the shellac to get off my nails.

02:25:39 - 02:25:47 | Speaker 1:

He could have been telling you that you have just inherited his three Jeeps that he has. How many Jeeps does he have anyway, by the way?

02:25:47 - 02:25:52 | Speaker 4:

Like, look at that. Look at that. They look so cute. What? What are you doing?

02:25:53 - 02:25:59 | Speaker 1:

How does Wes not have shower capabilities, but he's always looking like he's George Clooney?

02:25:59 - 02:26:02 | Speaker 3:

I feel like they have a little bathroom or shower in this thing.

02:26:02 - 02:26:04 | Speaker 4:

I want to see the sprinter if you have any pictures.

02:26:04 - 02:26:10 | Speaker 1:

I don't. How is Kieran doing? How is his son doing? Is he loving this trip? He said he's loving it.

02:26:10 - 02:26:12 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. This is like a dream trip for him, for Kieran.

02:26:13 - 02:26:14 | Speaker 4:

This is so cool that they do that.

02:26:14 - 02:26:21 | Speaker 3:

Kieran is no frills. He would rather camp than stay in a hotel.

02:26:21 - 02:26:27 | Speaker 1:

doesn't like this is so his speed so he's not one of my kids i'm telling you not not one of

02:26:27 - 02:26:34 | Speaker 2:

mine for sure my kids would be like it ain't five star trust me dad they don't give us free breakfast

02:26:34 - 02:26:40 | Speaker 3:

we're sitting on the back the back row of the plane that's my kids you're on a plane

02:26:40 - 02:26:45 | Speaker 2:

and you're going on vacation so be grateful you didn't book through american express

02:26:45 - 02:27:18 | Speaker 1:

um i uh i will tell you that i talked to steve gubara who just got back from jackson hall same place and he was telling me that like at the pool at the hotel that they were staying at the lifeguards have to like walk around with bear spray to keep bears oh my god he said that there was like a lady walking and all of a sudden a bear was there and they had to like have the bellhop or somebody at the hotel go chase after a beer like I've gone to Colorado for how many years

02:27:18 - 02:27:34 | Speaker 3:

for summer since Lucy was a baby so 12 years minus COVID and every year I'm like please let me see a moose please let me see something cool and crazy and then on this trip like in a matter of five days he sees everything herds that's the right word I don't know he sees everything what

02:27:34 - 02:27:48 | Speaker 1:

is the uh oh god what is the um i'm thinking of how kevin would react if i did that what there isn't there like a guy that goes and chase after animals i know crocodile hunter

02:27:48 - 02:27:54 | Speaker 3:

used to chase after crocodile are you thinking of like jack hannah who has like a saturday morning

02:27:54 - 02:28:10 | Speaker 1:

show i don't know i don't know i thought there's a new guy oh i don't know um but because i know that there's a guy that does this and goes like out in the wild and you know he shows his escapades of doing this.

02:28:10 - 02:28:11 | Speaker 4:

Dean Snyder? No.

02:28:11 - 02:28:25 | Speaker 1:

I don't know maybe. I don't know. But the reason I say this is Wes would be amazing at that. Like I know Wes has done television. You know he's done the Ninja Warrior. Wes would be like can you imagine if he did like a show?

02:28:25 - 02:28:26 | Speaker 3:

That would be his dream come true.

02:28:27 - 02:28:29 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Hold on. Oh here you go.

02:28:29 - 02:28:31 | Speaker 2:

What? Here you go.

02:28:31 - 02:28:45 | Speaker 3:

And then in the video he sent of the bear one that I actually posted, the bear, like, starts walking towards him. And he's like, just, and I'm like, why are you pointing at it in the video? We all see that there's a frickin' bear there. How close is it? You don't need to point. Is he zoomed in?

02:28:45 - 02:28:55 | Speaker 1:

No, I've seen it. No, he's not zoomed in. But it, but no, but it, like, sometimes, sometimes it's, uh, trick photography. Oh, my God. Look at that. No. Hold on. Let's see what we got here.

02:28:55 - 02:28:57 | Speaker 3:

What would you say? Maybe 10 feet?

02:28:59 - 02:29:11 | Speaker 1:

That's, that's, I mean, that's. Honestly. Maybe less than. That's fast enough for it to jump out at you. Yeah. That's crazy. All right, let's see what else you got in here. I just think they're not.

02:29:11 - 02:29:12 | Speaker 4:

Give me my phone.

02:29:14 - 02:29:16 | Speaker 1:

Who does that? I'll be honest with you.

02:29:16 - 02:29:18 | Speaker 3:

Who does that? Bianca does it.

02:29:18 - 02:29:41 | Speaker 1:

I'll be honest. There was one I swiped to just a second ago that was a bunch of the kids from Lucy's party there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think there's more riskiness to being at that house that night than Wes and Karen out in the middle of the wild. Funeral Home Tom on the phone with us right now. Keep a coffin-ready, Funeral Home Tom.

02:29:42 - 02:29:55 | Speaker 2:

I guess your coffin is going to get eaten. Do you guys remember Mojo? Do you remember Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom? And that guy used to go out and catch all the animals and stuff.

02:29:56 - 02:30:07 | Speaker 1:

You know, what's funny is I remember the name, but, you know. But it's wild. I will say this. I don't know, Tom, does that seem like a trip that you would ever want to go on, go out west and see wild animals like this?

02:30:08 - 02:30:14 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I'd love to. I've always told my wife that, but I'm not going to get near them unless I've got a rifle and I'm hunting. Yeah.

02:30:15 - 02:30:21 | Speaker 1:

I saw something this week, and I didn't even know this. Sleeping bear dunes, okay?

02:30:22 - 02:30:23 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Fun. Love.

02:30:23 - 02:31:35 | Speaker 1:

I think I was there as a kid once. they have a thing where when you go down the hill the sleeping bear dunes if you can't make it back up the hill they charge you like 30 grand or something like that to like life light you up or something wait what so have you been to sleeping bear dunes yeah have you been to the bottom and and then walked your way back up to the top yes so they say it's like yeah climbing it's hard mount everest or whatever but it's hard but they say that if you get all the way down to the bottom. Like I was thinking of this for a vacation. I'm like, Oh, maybe we'll go to Sleeping Bear Dunes. I am going to sleep in Bear Dunes. There's no way. Yeah. It's like a bunch of person. Yeah. Something like that. They charge, they charge you. It's I, yeah, I guess you're right. Thousand, not 30,000. It's like three grand or something. Oh, is it three grand? Yeah. Maybe that's the kind of trip I need to go on is a trip. They'll force you to exercise i know steve gabara went on this trip to jackson hall and he was like hiking mountains i'm like what the hell has happened to you it's crazy his girlfriend wanted to do it i know he was getting ass out of the deal what's up low what's going on mojo

02:31:35 - 02:31:40 | Speaker 4:

you were talking about uh the guy that's in the wilderness with the animals are you talking about

02:31:40 - 02:31:50 | Speaker 1:

the real tarzan three yeah exactly that's what i was talking about wes is now tarzan he's out there with these things. Lo, would you...

02:31:50 - 02:31:50 | Unknown:

Hey!

02:31:51 - 02:32:01 | Speaker 1:

Lo, quick question. Would you want a bison like five feet away from you?

02:32:02 - 02:32:03 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely not.

02:32:03 - 02:32:04 | Speaker 1:

No.

02:32:04 - 02:32:09 | Speaker 4:

Listen, I'm 6'3", 387. I still wouldn't want one body.

02:32:09 - 02:32:13 | Speaker 1:

Wait a second. You are 6'3", 387?

02:32:14 - 02:32:15 | Speaker 4:

Yes, I'm a big dude.

02:32:16 - 02:32:20 | Speaker 1:

He's 387. You should be playing for the Lions. We could use you.

02:32:21 - 02:32:27 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and I would take a million-dollar contract. So whoever out here for the Lions here is, call me, call me.

02:32:27 - 02:32:43 | Speaker 1:

You know what the thing is funny? I was going to say Wes. Lowe, if you and I went with Wes and Kieran, they would want us there because the two of us would get eaten first because we're so damn slow, you know?

02:32:43 - 02:32:49 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely. Do you think you can make it up sleeping bear dunes?

02:32:49 - 02:32:50 | Speaker 1:

Because I don't think I could.

02:32:50 - 02:32:51 | Speaker 4:

Hell no.

02:32:51 - 02:33:03 | Speaker 1:

I don't think I could. I'd be on the bottom there going, all right, hold on. Do you guys accept credit cards? It would be crazy. What's up? Who is this? Chris. Hi, Chris.

02:33:04 - 02:33:12 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Mojo. The guy that you're thinking of that goes around looking for animals like Crocodile Dundee, he's called Coyote Peterson.

02:33:12 - 02:33:20 | Speaker 1:

Honestly, I don't even know why I said it Okay, Coyote Peterson Chris, are you in shape enough To get up

02:33:20 - 02:33:22 | Speaker 2:

Sleeping bear downs

02:33:22 - 02:33:31 | Speaker 1:

I mean, I might be in shape enough I still can't believe it That you can make it all the way to the bottom of the thing And if you can't get back up to the top I did not know

02:33:31 - 02:33:34 | Speaker 2:

I guess they had to have something

02:33:34 - 02:33:36 | Speaker 3:

There's a ton of videos on TikTok about it

02:33:36 - 02:33:43 | Speaker 1:

I thought Tony told me That you can take Off-road vehicles on Sleeping Bear Dunes.

02:33:43 - 02:33:47 | Speaker 2:

I was going to say, I feel like some areas you can. There's like those buggies.

02:33:47 - 02:33:50 | Speaker 1:

What's going on, Kimberly? Hi, it's Mojo in the Morning.

02:33:51 - 02:34:03 | Speaker 3:

Hello. Yeah, so I agree. Sleeping Bear Dunes is kind of crazy, even just like the first initial hill is crazy to climb, but didn't you guys see that Mike just did that? Yes, I did. Are we surprised? Yeah, he went to the bottom.

02:34:04 - 02:34:07 | Speaker 1:

So he went to the bottom, and then does he have video of him going all the way back up?

02:34:09 - 02:34:14 | Speaker 3:

I didn't see video necessarily but i saw the i saw him post on instagram and he had like tips and stuff from his

02:34:14 - 02:34:28 | Speaker 1:

listeners but i mean if he did it with the kids quick question kimberly would you want to go on a trip where if you turn a corner you have to have bear spray to keep bear away or any of these wild

02:34:28 - 02:34:41 | Speaker 3:

animals i'm i'm going to denver you know about a month and i saw i saw an elk once i was real close to an elk in uh in denver a couple years ago not denver but near the rocky mountains so

02:34:41 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 1:

it's amazing part about you saying that is when i walk outside to take the dogs to go get their you know you know morning or afternoon poop in i walk into dare i walk into wild turkeys oh turkeys are mean i walk into sometimes an occasional you know

02:35:00 - 02:35:18 | Speaker 2:

coyote oh wow and i'm scared crapless you need defense i i come outside i like i sometimes will come out and go i'm coming outside this morning it was skunk smell in my yard you know how that is in the morning like when you smell the skunk smell yeah smell they were active i saw a deer

02:35:18 - 02:35:24 | Speaker 1:

chasing its tail this morning in a field and it made me smile oh it's cute that's scary can you

02:35:24 - 02:35:48 | Speaker 2:

imagine that Wes is out taking videos and showing Shannon videos of him with antelope. Antelope. Caribou. With cantaloupe. Caribou. And I walk outside and I'm afraid of a skunk spraying my dogs. You know what I mean? It's crazy. Yeah. Alright, well you take care, Kimberly. Appreciate you. Love you guys.

02:35:48 - 02:35:50 | Speaker 4:

Love you too. Beware of the cantaloupe.

02:35:51 - 02:35:58 | Speaker 5:

Beware of the cantaloupe. Mojo in the Morning has a shop for you to win $1,000 now. Pay Your Bills is on.

02:36:21 - 02:36:38 | Speaker 5:

All right, it is Mojo in the morning.

02:36:38 - 02:36:58 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to have those Morgan Wallen tickets in a second. So I'll tell you about that and how you can win for this weekend. Right now, speaking of winning, we have our friends in from Carl's Golf Land. Neil and Tom from Carl's Golf Land here with us today. Yeah. And we're celebrating. What are we celebrating, Neil?

02:36:58 - 02:37:02 | Speaker 3:

68 years. Wow. 68 years. Yeah. That's incredible.

02:37:02 - 02:37:05 | Speaker 2:

Carl started this place 68 years ago.

02:37:05 - 02:37:50 | Speaker 3:

Has a little driving range on the corner of Dixie Highway and Telegraph. Wow. And just started. Loved the game. He'd play all the time and built a little building, had a little pro shop. And then the landlord ended up selling the land from underneath Mr. Rose. And he ended up driving down Telegraph and saw this piece of land in Bloomfield Township, which was far better. Even a better place. Didn't know that back then. That's wild. He had to build a building larger than he wanted because there was a minimum size you could build. And, you know, they build it five, six times over and over and over again.

02:37:50 - 02:38:54 | Speaker 2:

And then it became a retail store, which is the number one golf retailer in the world. You guys service more golf to people across the country and fulfill more orders and sell more Titleist, right? Everything. So golf is huge, by the way. It's like everybody's golfing nowadays, which is pretty unbelievable, like to think. covid you know was a great thing for that it made people golf it is wild now like when i start seeing did you hear the lebron story this weekend no so lebron is starting golfing he never really was a big golfer before and um he's so obsessed with golf in all off season the reason why they say that he has not made a decision on what team he's going to is every day this guy's out golfing because he is he is convinced that he can become like one of the greatest golfers in the world like basketball players and uh i was watching a podcast just recently he's an 18 handicap he thinks that by the time he retires he's going to be a scratch like that's his ultimate goal

02:38:54 - 02:39:04 | Speaker 4:

he's one person i don't doubt right he's got the athleticism he's just got to figure it out his swing is okay i've seen it it's okay you know what's weird is bronnie has a better swing than

02:39:04 - 02:39:43 | Speaker 2:

lebron so bronnie's a better golfer than his dad i think so like my son luke right i was out yesterday with luke so luke and i went out golfing which by the way there is something i posted this on my own personal when your adult kids are like you're like dad let's go golfing like to say that like it was like oh my god did i actually like to hang out with you son of a bitch took money from me he was like trying to get money he was gambling and stuff so all right so carl's golf land 68 years their anniversary your anniversary sale is always the best time if you want to get into golf to get everything that you need for your golf game whether it be from the clubs to honestly balls

02:39:43 - 02:40:02 | Speaker 3:

whatever it might be apparels all apparels on sale uh there's instant discounts in every department and then you know there's a register to win uh somebody's going to win a trip for two to pebble beach. Wow. Four days. Which is, by the way, the nicest.

02:40:03 - 02:40:18 | Speaker 4:

Somebody else is going to win to come into Carl's and get fit for a complete new set of everything. And then we've got shopping sprees, $1,000 here and $1,500 from Foot Joy and so on and so forth.

02:40:18 - 02:40:20 | Speaker 1:

Dang, those are good prizes.

02:40:20 - 02:40:55 | Speaker 2:

The prizes are usually the biggest draw. Pebble Beach, I think we're underselling what that is, right? They're going to host a major soon. I mean, you can't get in, you can't play there unless you stay at the resort. So you're going to get three rounds, Pebble Beach, Spanish Bay. You're going to get to play everything. That's a huge draw. Like, I can't win, but I want to enter that one. So that's a big deal. So you said, how can you win? You register to win online at carlsgolfland.com. Everybody can register. You can win either the trip, the trip to Carl's, the shopping sprees. And like Neil said, instant savings on every category that if you're getting into golf, you should probably go now and buy.

02:40:55 - 02:42:20 | Speaker 3:

It's funny, I was watching the, have you guys watched The Hawk yet? Yeah, I finished it yesterday. I did, too. So Will Ferrell's got a Netflix show. It's kind of like eastbound and down a little bit, but he's like a golfer. Hi, this is Will Ferrell, and you're wasting time with Mojo. And they end at Pebble Beach, right? That's where they're at. But I've never, you know, I've only golfed Pinehursts like my place I went to, which is amazing in itself. but um god pebble beach would be like a dream come true i've never played there man so um and again carlsgolfland.com so here's the thing i want to ask you guys with this 68 you know years or whatever is there a way like strip clubs where if i buy something at your place can it make it look like i donated to like our lady of refuge catholic church or something because chelsea's now monitoring my my uh charges on my credit card and there i usually don't say to her hey i'm on my way home stopping at carl's it just happens my car just suddenly pulls into the place and so there's an occasional where she's doing our bills at the end of the month and she looks and she goes what the hell did you just buy for 580 dollars or something like that or why did you you know or 20 could be 22 she gets mad about too we bought the uh

02:42:20 - 02:42:36 | Speaker 4:

frank's nursery used to be next door to carl's yeah i miss frank's nursery and when they went out of business carl bought the land because we you know expansion and whatever and all the customers just like you mojo would say hey you got the credit card machine from there that way

02:42:36 - 02:43:03 | Speaker 3:

frank's nursery it is instead of carl's golf it is funny and i and i've said this to all the women on the show if you go into a carl's there are more women shopping for clothes than there are even guys shopping for clothes a lot of the guys go and they play with the putters or they go out on the range and stuff you walk right in it's all the women's clothes first it's honestly i feel like i'm at uh a nordstrom's or whatever you know what i mean like hanging out with a bunch of women

02:43:03 - 02:43:18 | Speaker 2:

out there shopping we do pride ourselves on that too because i from a golfer's perspective women that play golf i think they typically at other stores have a hard time finding stuff that isn't just pink or some weird pattern that doesn't really look great so we do pride ourselves on

02:43:18 - 02:44:35 | Speaker 3:

that we've got yeah we got everything right why do they always got to make them neons it's almost kind of like they want guys to know there's women right four holes in front of you right here they are yeah which by the way women wearing golf stuff hot as hell chelsea will wear some of this like malbon or whatever the heck it is or roan you guys have roan in yours roan makes golf stuff is really nice grayson uh peter millar stuff like that all right so we're doing a contest too with with carl's golf land so aside from the contest that tom was uh talking about just a second ago and neil we're giving you a chance to win is it a 500 gift card yep 500 um so follow us on social bianca you're gonna uh post this today right so we're gonna have it posted today so we're gonna post it up there and you have a chance to win 500 bucks but right now if you're the 95th caller win a hundred dollar gift card to carl's golf land oh i'm sorry we just got a winner his name is tommy neil brought this and i'm like oh he brought me a gift card this is so nice now we'll give it It's in the 95th caller, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, the telephone number. Do you have any interest in golf at all? Shannon kind of thinks.

02:44:36 - 02:44:36 | Speaker 1:

No.

02:44:36 - 02:44:37 | Speaker 3:

Anna, you'd be great at this.

02:44:37 - 02:44:51 | Speaker 1:

I would love to learn. My kids both play, and I would love to learn to play with them, but I just don't. I don't know. Have you tried? It also seems like an expensive hobby. I tried one time, but I played with somebody who was absolutely phenomenal.

02:44:51 - 02:44:52 | Speaker 3:

That's tough.

02:44:52 - 02:44:53 | Speaker 1:

And after one hole, I was like, I don't know.

02:44:53 - 02:44:55 | Speaker 3:

Boo! Who did you play with that was phenomenal?

02:44:56 - 02:45:06 | Speaker 1:

But my former mother-in-law is an incredible, incredible golfer. and she took me out and I did one hole and I was like, yeah, I'm good. I was so embarrassed. She is very good, by the way.

02:45:06 - 02:45:15 | Speaker 2:

I've got a challenge for you, okay? Come out to Carl's. We'll get you taken care of. We'll get you all suited up and everything and let's get you in the right way. I bet you'll fall in love with it.

02:45:15 - 02:45:19 | Speaker 1:

Would you? I beat everybody at Tapgolf when we went.

02:45:19 - 02:45:21 | Speaker 3:

We offered last time we were here. I know.

02:45:21 - 02:45:23 | Speaker 1:

We just need to pick a day. I need an outfit.

02:45:23 - 02:45:29 | Speaker 3:

And Shannon always says, I just want the clothes. I do. I got my wife. I'll take off.

02:45:29 - 02:45:35 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and Trish is amazing. If we could make a content series out of your journey into golf, I think it would crush.

02:45:36 - 02:45:51 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Okay. She'd go, and Tom Harding, one of the pros, would come in, and she goes, you know, your wife, you know, she's got a great swing. So I'd come home from work, and I'd walk in, and I'd go, hey, Trish, you want to go hit some balls? Yeah. And she'd go, no. I'm like, why? She goes, I don't want people to look at me.

02:45:52 - 02:46:21 | Speaker 4:

Women are all jealousies like that, too. Nobody cares. By the way, as a guy, if another man says, my wife has a nice swing, I'm kind of turned on by that, especially if it's Tom. Tom's already one of the best in the business right there. He's good. Real quick, say hello, Neil and Tom from Carl's Golf Land, celebrating 68 years in the business. To Seth, are you there, Seth? I am here. Seth, you're a winner. Congratulations.

02:46:21 - 02:46:27 | Speaker 1:

That's a huge prize. Are you a golfer, Seth?

02:46:27 - 02:46:29 | Speaker 3:

Heck, yeah. Oh, I'm a big golfer.

02:46:29 - 02:46:34 | Speaker 4:

Are you? Seth, how many rounds of golf do you say that you do in a year, a summer?

02:46:36 - 02:46:39 | Speaker 2:

Well, I just had a kid, so it's low in here.

02:46:40 - 02:46:50 | Speaker 4:

It is funny. You start golf, and then all of a sudden you have kids, and you know what you need to do? You need to get, do they have like a baby Bjorn thing that you can put your kid in?

02:46:50 - 02:47:00 | Speaker 2:

There's a stroller caddy. You put a little rack on the stroller and you put your... Do they really have that? Yeah, it's a real thing. So you can push the stroller on the course and take your clubs out. That is awesome.

02:47:01 - 02:47:02 | Speaker 4:

What a cool thing.

02:47:02 - 02:47:02 | Speaker 2:

Heck yeah.

02:47:03 - 02:47:10 | Speaker 4:

All right, buddy. Hold on to the line for a second. Lydia's going to get this. Thank you to Neil for giving you this $100 and not giving me the $100.

02:47:12 - 02:47:13 | Speaker 2:

Sorry. Thank you, though.

02:47:13 - 02:47:19 | Speaker 4:

$100, by the way. You know the thing? I would go in there and I'd probably spend like $800 on it. Yeah, of course. It'd be like $100.

02:47:19 - 02:47:25 | Speaker 2:

gateway. Yeah. The Grayson section usually is like a magnet, right? So you know what I'm into right now?

02:47:26 - 02:48:00 | Speaker 4:

I'm really getting into is B-Dratty. You guys got me into it. You guys started carrying this B-Dratty clothes, and I love them. Their shirts are so comfortable. It's high quality, yeah. And I love Grayson. Don't get me wrong, but I love it. And then Luke said I need a new putter. He said my putter is not good. It's just me, though. We got a ton of them. All right. Well, we appreciate you guys. Go check it out. Thanks for having us. Hang out if you want to. I got Shannon doing the dirty. You can hang out with that. And let's begin. Right now, Morgan Wallen tickets. Any of you guys going to Morgan Wallen at all?

02:48:00 - 02:48:02 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, we're going Saturday. Are you? Yeah.

02:48:02 - 02:48:05 | Speaker 4:

Man, your wife, she takes you to everything, doesn't she?

02:48:05 - 02:48:15 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, she takes me to a great place. Are you excited? It's my wife, my daughter, my sister-in-law, my niece, and my daughter's best friend.

02:48:15 - 02:48:19 | Speaker 4:

How am I doing? 120 or 30,000 people?

02:48:20 - 02:48:25 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. I'm the guy that says he wants to go when it's announced and then forgets that it's happening and never gets the tickets.

02:48:25 - 02:48:33 | Speaker 4:

Well, you can get him now. Text WALLEN, W-A-L-L-E-N, to 95500. That's WALLEN to 95500.

02:48:34 - 02:48:35 | Speaker 3:

Walk into Tony Travato's office.

02:48:36 - 02:49:01 | Speaker 4:

Actually, Tony's a golfer. Tony and his son, Christopher, I will tell you. So they went out. They were golfing yesterday. And Tony said to me, he goes, there was nobody behind us. And we just hit, like, a million balls into the woods or whatever. That's fun. Yeah, they were having a great time. That's great. All right, text WALL in the 95500 to win your tickets. Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30. All right, Shannon, what you got in this hour's Dirty on the 30?

02:49:01 - 02:49:16 | Speaker 1:

Well, maybe the last day of talking about the World Cup for a couple of years. Soccer fans are crazy. Yeah. It was Spain who won in the final over Argentina, a very long, slow game. And the final score, 1-0.

02:49:16 - 02:49:20 | Speaker 3:

Poro, chance to cross, hooks it in. Williams badly knocks it down.

02:49:20 - 02:49:22 | Unknown:

It's free. It's a goal.

02:49:23 - 02:49:34 | Speaker 1:

It's free. Lionel Messi shedding some tears after that loss. Everybody this morning still talking, though, about the very underwhelming halftime show featuring Justin Bieber.

02:49:34 - 02:49:38 | Speaker 2:

Tried to write this song, but my word just wouldn't do.

02:49:39 - 02:49:41 | Speaker 1:

I said, hallelujah.

02:49:41 - 02:49:45 | Speaker 4:

Does it have meaning about World Cup, though? No. No?

02:49:45 - 02:49:48 | Speaker 1:

It seems like a lyric or two in it. Oh, yeah.

02:49:49 - 02:49:55 | Speaker 4:

I like the Ted Lasso, you know, intro, but.

02:49:57 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 1:

BTS, Shakira, and.

02:50:00 - 02:50:01 | Speaker 4:

Madonna took the stage.

02:50:01 - 02:50:07 | Speaker 3:

Hold on, let me play BTS first. You know, I have a new respect for them.

02:50:07 - 02:50:11 | Speaker 4:

I mean, to dance like they do and sing. And I think they were really singing.

02:50:12 - 02:50:15 | Speaker 3:

And the fact they served in their military and had to do the military service.

02:50:16 - 02:50:18 | Speaker 4:

I'm a radio music festival artist.

02:50:20 - 02:50:25 | Speaker 3:

Shave out the I Heart Radio Music Festival, by the way. Madonna.

02:50:25 - 02:50:40 | Speaker 4:

i still think it's so funny that the announcers thought that matt damon was brad pitt and thought pharrell williams was asap rock did you know i didn't realize this

02:50:40 - 02:50:54 | Speaker 3:

so the announcers for the game did that but the announcers that were doing the studio thing one of them is lexi lawless who's like you know a famed american soccer player okay cranbrook grad

02:50:54 - 02:50:54 | Speaker 1:

Oh, really?

02:50:55 - 02:50:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, from Birmingham, Michigan.

02:50:58 - 02:50:58 | Speaker 1:

That's huge.

02:50:59 - 02:51:03 | Speaker 3:

I wonder if he shops at Carl's Golf Land. I bet you Lexi Lawless has been there at Carl's Golf Land.

02:51:03 - 02:51:04 | Speaker 1:

Couldn't tell you.

02:51:04 - 02:51:05 | Speaker 3:

Big redhead.

02:51:05 - 02:51:19 | Speaker 4:

Okay, you guys. Big redhead. So this morning, my friends just sent me this. So this is my source. The FDA has recalled organic blueberries due to a dangerous E. coli outbreak.

02:51:20 - 02:51:22 | Speaker 2:

I just served it to everyone yesterday at my mom's birthday.

02:51:22 - 02:52:01 | Speaker 4:

So look at the specific brands, though. Like, definitely look that up. So we've got blueberries and then lettuce. However, a little twist on this lettuce story. Taylor Farms, the company that the FDA initially said was the Taco Bell lettuce supplier responsible for this explosive diarrhea parasite that people are terrified of getting, it's not them. The FDA came out this morning to say that the original test results were a false positive. so the company went ahead and had voluntarily recalled all of its lettuce from various places including taco bell but it did not have any traces of cyclospora on it when they went back

02:52:01 - 02:52:06 | Speaker 3:

and did a retest of it are they going to sue then or something because i the the misinformation on

02:52:06 - 02:52:42 | Speaker 4:

that has got to have ruined that company sure i mean it it's pretty bad but i know they released a statement i just saw it this morning and let me see if i can find it um it says taylor farms Today, the FDA apologized to us. Today, we were informed that the FDA made a mistake. It was a false positive. And they just said, you know, acting on initial information provided by health officials and out of an abundance of caution, we completed a voluntary recall of iceberg lettuce from central Mexico. And they just said our thoughts remain with everybody who felt ill. So they did the, you know, they did a great thing.

02:52:42 - 02:52:56 | Speaker 3:

So I have to tell you that Tony Travato would like me to videotape myself eating Taco Bell to prove to all the masses that Taco Bell is safe.

02:52:56 - 02:52:58 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I would eat it with you.

02:52:58 - 02:52:58 | Speaker 3:

All right.

02:52:58 - 02:52:59 | Speaker 4:

A hundred percent.

02:53:00 - 02:53:13 | Speaker 3:

So I'm door dashing. We're going to have a mukbang. Is that what you said? We're going to have that during our show meeting today and let our client Taco Bell know that we feel you're safe. Oh, I'm still eating Taco Bell.

02:53:13 - 02:53:15 | Speaker 4:

I'm here for it. I haven't stopped eating anything.

02:53:16 - 02:53:24 | Speaker 3:

I always feel like this is the best time to go to somewhere that has an issue. Because they're on their piece of queues. Yeah. You guarantee they're clean and everything.

02:53:24 - 02:53:32 | Speaker 4:

And lastly, another athlete affected by a home burglary. This time, NFL star Saquon Barkley.

02:53:33 - 02:53:53 | Speaker 2:

Tonight, police outside Philadelphia searching for at least two people accused of breaking into the home of NFL star Saquon Barkley. Investigators say the Super Bowl champion was home with his family early Saturday morning when they were targeted. Officers arriving at Barkley's home within minutes. The alleged intruders already gone. Police say it is not clear if anything was stolen.

02:53:54 - 02:53:58 | Speaker 1:

How long were they in the home? It was a very short period of time.

02:53:58 - 02:54:01 | Speaker 2:

Barkley has been outspoken about his love of being a father.

02:54:01 - 02:54:07 | Speaker 1:

When you have those kids and you see those kids grow up, you realize that there's so much more in this world than how well you run a football.

02:54:07 - 02:54:33 | Speaker 2:

Investigators releasing this picture of a white SUV they say may have been involved. There is history of NFL star's homes being targeted. Last year, police say thieves stole about $200,000 worth of property belonging to Cleveland Browns quarterback Shador Sanders. And in May, three Chilean nationals arrested in Argentina, wanting in connection to break-ins at the homes of Travis Kelsey and Patrick Mahomes. Police say the Barkley family was not hurt, Lindsay.

02:54:33 - 02:54:34 | Speaker 3:

That's crazy.

02:54:34 - 02:54:37 | Speaker 4:

Home at the time. Wow. That's really scary.

02:54:37 - 02:54:47 | Speaker 3:

Do you mind if I do one story on your thing? So I followed a bunch of people that were out at that Lavender Festival, the Blake's Lavender Festival, which we've gave away tickets to.

02:54:48 - 02:54:48 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:54:48 - 02:54:56 | Speaker 3:

A storm came upon everybody at, I guess, the last minute. There was really not a lot of forewarning that the storm was happening.

02:54:56 - 02:54:57 | Speaker 4:

I saw the video of this.

02:54:57 - 02:54:59 | Speaker 3:

And many of these local vendors that were selling.

02:55:00 - 02:55:13 | Speaker 1:

stuff lost all of their goods and one of them was this one that i saw and i and i was so kind of uh uh taken by it uh hold on a second here like the tent everything just ripped apart all their stuff

02:55:13 - 02:55:40 | Speaker 3:

underwater we just had the most crazy storm come through and my tent is destroyed my products are destroyed and yeah this is the reality of doing outdoor events but this one this one was it's really taking a blow so i don't even know where to start

02:55:40 - 02:56:05 | Speaker 1:

wow just devastation of everything that's gone uh that's jamie and jamie we reached out to you because i was uh so sad to see all this that happened to you and every one of these vendors and I wanted to give you an opportunity to plug your business on the air and how people can follow you so that you can make up for some of the loss that you had from the weekend.

02:56:06 - 02:56:23 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, absolutely. Well, thank you, Moja. I appreciate you reaching out, and I'm happy to be here. I'm Jamie, and I own Desert Dreams Jewelry. We specialize in sculpting polymer clay to look like natural stone, and we travel a lot in Michigan during the summer doing different art fairs

02:56:23 - 02:56:36 | Speaker 1:

festivals such as the lavender festival like this one so jamie can you just tell me when the storm came in there was no warning like i know that you guys probably saw dark skies but they didn't come

02:56:36 - 02:57:47 | Speaker 2:

out and say hey we gotta close things up yeah so everything was pretty normal we you know we'd been set up all day and i was on accuweather all day checking out the situations because i had heard of storms possibly coming through um you know the southeast area of michigan and um it all just changed incredibly fast um you know we didn't we didn't really have um you know a lot of of warning from the event coordinators i personally didn't receive any advance warning um i think that everyone was just kind of reacting in the moment because we all know that michigan weather can change really fast yeah i know that yeah um and especially lately i feel like we've been experiencing some more severe weather than we've ever seen um and i think that it's incredibly difficult to manage probably on blake's part um when you when you are responsible for coordinating thousands of people and um so we did not receive in advance well then well and on your phone if

02:57:47 - 02:57:57 | Speaker 1:

you don't get anything from the national weather service too like at least something alerting you on your phone uh you wonder even up to yes i'm sorry go ahead no say what you're gonna say even

02:57:57 - 02:59:02 | Speaker 2:

up to what sure absolutely well even in the moment i was on accuweather seeing the wind gusts uh possibly of 30 miles per hour i've experienced storms doing these events for 30 mile per hour winds and i it did not result in this kind of damage so i do think that the even though the weather um warnings did not anticipate the amount of damaging winds that we would have experienced wow because a lot of people on the post on instagram i don't know if you had a chance to come through the the lovely comments people have been leaving um uh don't get me wrong we we are incredibly grateful for all the support that we've received but we've also received um you know some super awful comments people saying that we're choosing greed over safety that's crazy and you know i understand why people might think that from the outside but the reality is very different None of us wake up thinking, you know, I'm willing to risk my life today and all of my

02:59:02 - 02:59:09 | Speaker 1:

and my small business. Jamie, that's just that's just called the Internet, social media and everybody has to

02:59:09 - 02:59:28 | Speaker 2:

be a hater out in full swing. And, you know, we trusted that if the conditions became unsafe, that there would be guidance from the event. But when the storm escalated as quickly as it did, you know, everyone just skipped it from, you know, selling to trying to protect people and whatever they could.

02:59:29 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 1:

Desert Dreams Jewelry, you're on, because I see it right now on Instagram. And you do beautiful work, and we want to recognize you and all those others that are, you know, vendors that are there. We wish we can get each and every one of you on the air, but Jamie's Instagram grabbed me, And I'm happy that you're on the air with us. And I hope that you're able to recoup some of the losses. Okay. Yeah, definitely.

03:00:00 - 03:00:34 | Speaker 8:

are fortunate that we were able to salvage a lot. I know a lot of vendors who had lost everything. So we are definitely, you know, coming together as a community. I think that the vendor community is really beautiful. And, you know, after the event to see everybody helping one another, I think that just was everything in the moment. So I do believe that Blake's on their Instagram had shared a list of vendors who were at the event, so if anybody is wanting to support any of those, there is a list on their website. And they're giving

03:00:34 - 03:00:38 | Speaker 7:

all the proceeds to the vendors, I heard, too, so make sure you get that. Thank you for going on with us.

03:03:25 - 03:03:38 | Speaker 7:

All right. See you, buddy. See you, Neil. Okay. I got to get to a couple of other things. Every guy that I know has been texting me.

03:03:39 - 03:03:40 | Speaker 11:

About the stinger on the dinger?

03:03:40 - 03:03:42 | Speaker 7:

About the stinger on the dinger.

03:03:42 - 03:03:48 | Speaker 11:

Oh, my God. That was so dang funny. I still am thinking about it. I can't believe one guy had a jellyfish wrap around his. Isn't that amazing?

03:03:48 - 03:03:50 | Speaker 7:

That was definitely... The having sex

03:03:50 - 03:03:52 | Speaker 3:

and then fire ants. Yeah, that

03:03:52 - 03:03:54 | Speaker 11:

one too. Every single

03:03:54 - 03:04:00 | Speaker 3:

call was so good. Losing a ball from an insect is crazy. You have to go back and listen to that

03:04:00 - 03:04:08 | Speaker 7:

podcast. My favorite was when JD was like trying to, wait a second, yours is not as good as mine.

03:04:08 - 03:04:14 | Speaker 3:

No, but I love that every guy that called was like, I am a survivor as well, JD. We are survivors.

03:04:14 - 03:04:24 | Speaker 7:

together i wonder if women uh getting stung on theirs is painful vagina yeah yeah you know what

03:04:24 - 03:04:30 | Speaker 11:

i mean that would probably be pretty bad getting stung anywhere would suck what do you think is

03:04:30 - 03:04:46 | Speaker 7:

worse and i'm gonna throw this out there and i'm gonna get completely crushed by you guys childbirth or getting stung on your penis child birth times a million you know

03:04:46 - 03:04:59 | Speaker 11:

are you serious i feel like say at the end that's what i want to say to you right now what what did you say at the end of the recording you're a baby b yeah baby b yeah

03:05:00 - 03:05:10 | Speaker 3:

Why do you guys not think, though, that this would be a bad thing to have happen to a guy? I mean, your vagina goes back into place, doesn't it, or no?

03:05:10 - 03:05:15 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but for the time that it's stretched, it's very painful.

03:05:15 - 03:05:26 | Speaker 3:

I only bring this up to you because I don't think my wife is listening right now, so that's the reason why I bring that up, because she, of course, will pull out the old childbirth thing a lot with me.

03:05:26 - 03:05:27 | Speaker 4:

She should.

03:05:27 - 03:06:35 | Speaker 3:

um but i don't know jd jen and you need to have that conversation later today yeah i'm sure that will go over real well ask her what she thinks those beautiful boys of yours that you have from her um all right it's mojo in the morning i have to talk about something right now that i talked about earlier i don't know it was like two months ago and i didn't talk about it at this time but i talked about it i think like in the eight o'clock i don't know when it was i talked about it i i sometimes can remember exact times that i talk about things and i'm i'm kind of uh i don't know a little i got a little bit of uh old show asperger's or something like that so i was telling you guys about how i was invited to go on my son's bachelor party and i and i said to you guys, I said, Hey, I don't think it's a good idea for me to go on this bachelor party with my son and his best buddies and my kid, my two other boys, you know, so they're all going to be in

03:06:35 - 03:06:42 | Speaker 5:

there. And I think I'm rethinking this thing. Really? Yeah. I'm not surprised. Yeah. I don't

03:06:42 - 03:07:45 | Speaker 3:

know if, if Joe and Jed could come on the air with us. I'd be interested to see their perspective on this they wanted me to go and I had said I don't want to go and there was a couple of reasons why I didn't want to do it number one if they do decide to go to like a strip club or something like that I think it's weird and that's where I think the thing went I think it went with parents who go with their kids to strip clubs which was like when we did it before I don't want to do that like I first off I'm not a strip club I'm way too you know sophisticated for strip clubs these days right all right i used to not be but now i am and i'm definitely not one that wants to go to a strip club with joe jacob and luke yeah that's weird jed grant um i'm trying to think of who else is going on this on this thing all of their their friends that that go on where where where is the bachelor party well this is where it got to the point where i'm now rethinking it

03:07:45 - 03:07:51 | Speaker 1:

they're not going to vegas oh that's right it was vegas oh they're not going to so no i was so

03:07:51 - 03:08:27 | Speaker 3:

excited about the fact that they weren't going to vegas number one because i think i have to buy luke's ticket and that's a hell of an expensive ticket right now especially with no more spirit yes they we wouldn't have been flying spirit anyway i would have put them on because it's you know spirit cancels half their times they they had it they're picking a different they're picking a different location for the bachelor party and because they're picking a different location i'm contemplating that i might make a special guest appearance at the bachelor party is the joe show on with us right now the joe show on 93.3 flz yes present

03:08:27 - 03:08:34 | Speaker 2:

hi guys is that is everybody else there too is uh ashley and katie also with us

03:08:34 - 03:08:41 | Speaker 5:

ashley's on a vacation for her birthday and katie is uh doing her show for here

03:08:41 - 03:08:47 | Speaker 3:

Wait a second. So Ashley's like one of those millennials or whatever, whatever generation that always takes their birthdays off.

03:08:47 - 03:08:53 | Speaker 5:

I didn't realize that. She did it before it was cool. Yeah. Actually, she didn't like to work on her birthday.

03:08:53 - 03:09:10 | Speaker 3:

Oh, she doesn't. All right. So I was telling these guys that I'm contemplating that this new bachelor party idea sounds better to me than it did before with going to Vegas. Jed, can you explain where you are taking Joe's bachelor party?

03:09:11 - 03:09:23 | Speaker 4:

We're going to New Orleans, baby. Oh, fun. Yeah. Going to go to the French Quarter. We're going to drink hand grenades, and we're going to get trashed and go to the casino, just like you would in Vegas at a quarter of the price.

03:09:23 - 03:09:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. You come with your own sound effects. I love it. And who's the group of guys that are all going? Because Luke was filling me in on this when I was golfing with him yesterday.

03:09:37 - 03:09:53 | Speaker 4:

it is joe or obviously joe thank you thank you for inviting me our friend aaron uh katie summers fiancee sean luke jacob and then our friend grant do you want your dad to come

03:09:53 - 03:09:59 | Speaker 3:

yeah i think it'd be fun you don't want me to come that's a not i don't want him to come

03:10:00 - 03:10:03 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I want you to come. No, I would want you to come. I think it would be fun.

03:10:03 - 03:10:23 | Speaker 1:

I want to come. I feel like Jerry Seinfeld right now. I like the idea of New Orleans because I thought it would be kind of fun to go to New Orleans and be able to do it with my sons, you know what I mean? Although I got to tell you, I'm really shocked that Jacob wants to go on this bachelor party.

03:10:24 - 03:10:25 | Speaker 2:

I don't think he does.

03:10:27 - 03:10:29 | Speaker 4:

He's just doing it to be a good brother to you for sure.

03:10:30 - 03:10:32 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think he kind of has to go.

03:10:32 - 03:10:33 | Speaker 4:

He's sucking it up. Yeah.

03:10:34 - 03:10:34 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

03:10:34 - 03:10:55 | Speaker 1:

I would like to know from the listeners, should I go? Should I stay or should I go, basically? Your thoughts on this. And I haven't even brought it up. Can you call Chelsea, too, and ask Chelsea what her thoughts are on this? Because I'd like to know what Chelsea's thoughts are about me potentially going to New Orleans. Are you guys, Jed, are you?

03:10:55 - 03:11:07 | Speaker 2:

Well, since you are going, well, maybe going. Why should you go? What would make it even better if you were there? That's a great question. Why would you make this even better than what it already is going to be?

03:11:07 - 03:11:11 | Speaker 1:

Hold on a second. Is this like a contest or something like that, like we've done with listeners?

03:11:12 - 03:11:14 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's kind of like Shark Tank. Ever heard of it?

03:11:15 - 03:11:24 | Speaker 1:

I have to sell myself to you guys on why I should go. I think I would like to go because I've been to New Orleans at least 10 times.

03:11:25 - 03:11:26 | Speaker 3:

Have you really?

03:11:26 - 03:11:32 | Speaker 1:

I know all the good restaurants there, and I do have a higher credit limit than you guys do on your credit cards.

03:11:35 - 03:11:44 | Speaker 2:

I like this play. Did you bring weed for Michigan if you come? That's a good sounding point.

03:11:44 - 03:11:45 | Speaker 1:

Is weed not legal in New Orleans?

03:11:46 - 03:11:48 | Speaker 2:

No. It's not as good as Michigan weed.

03:11:49 - 03:11:52 | Speaker 4:

Wait, I feel like anything and everything is legal in New Orleans.

03:11:53 - 03:12:12 | Speaker 2:

Weed's not legal? No weed, no prostitution. Well, speaking of, what if you see things that, you know, aren't so great? Like, well, that sounds like cheating. No cheating. Yeah, no cheating. Drugs. Whoa. I mean, I don't know if you know who you're talking to. Not bad drugs. Just whatever Luke brings for Michigan State.

03:12:13 - 03:12:17 | Speaker 1:

No, what I would say is, Aaron, put the drugs down.

03:12:19 - 03:12:25 | Speaker 2:

We're not talking about anything bad. Just like kind of like, you know, mushrooms. Yeah. He's done them before.

03:12:25 - 03:12:26 | Speaker 1:

I've done mushrooms.

03:12:27 - 03:12:28 | Speaker 2:

And he loved it.

03:12:28 - 03:12:29 | Speaker 1:

I enjoyed it.

03:12:29 - 03:12:36 | Speaker 2:

No, not like the, no, we're talking about like real, like the ones grown from the air, not the gummies you buy at the gas station. Yeah, the chocolate bars that the grandmas eat.

03:12:37 - 03:12:52 | Speaker 1:

Listen, you met my friend Amar. I've done real mushrooms. Seriously. Hold on real quick. Your mother's on the phone. Chelsea, are you there? Family meeting. Mm-hmm. Chelsea, we're having a little conversation here with your son.

03:12:52 - 03:12:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you're too old to go. Stop.

03:12:54 - 03:12:55 | Speaker 1:

Why am I too old a guy?

03:12:56 - 03:13:10 | Speaker 3:

Because you are. And you're the dad. And just let them go enjoy themselves. And don't worry. Your credit card's going to be used regardless if you're there or not. So it's going to save me money, you not being there.

03:13:10 - 03:13:11 | Speaker 2:

Mom, do you want to come?

03:13:12 - 03:13:13 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I'll meet you there.

03:13:14 - 03:13:18 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. That would probably be the case. The boys do this all the time.

03:13:19 - 03:13:26 | Speaker 3:

Because they like me better. But it's so inappropriate for you to want to go. Let them go and have fun.

03:13:26 - 03:13:27 | Speaker 1:

Why is it inappropriate?

03:13:28 - 03:13:29 | Speaker 3:

Because you're too old.

03:13:29 - 03:13:31 | Speaker 2:

What else would you add to the trip?

03:13:34 - 03:13:44 | Speaker 1:

Me? No. Both of you. I think he's talking. Or dad. What if your mom and I both went? Your mom and dad on your bachelor party. Would that not be the greatest?

03:13:45 - 03:13:49 | Speaker 3:

That's so inappropriate. No, let them go and have fun.

03:13:49 - 03:13:51 | Speaker 1:

Hold on, Courtney. What's up, Courtney?

03:13:52 - 03:13:52 | Speaker 3:

Hi, good morning.

03:13:53 - 03:14:10 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Kelsey. Hi. I like Fangirl more over Kelsey than I do Mojo. Sorry, Mojo. Oh, come on. So I think what if you did a quick visit with just the boys and you could do, like, your own little bachelor party with you and your three boys?

03:14:10 - 03:14:14 | Speaker 1:

So not in New Orleans that weekend? Like a different place?

03:14:14 - 03:14:23 | Speaker 4:

Actually kind of a fun idea. A different place. And it can be just the three of you. It can be a boys trip. and then Kelsey can go on a girl's trip eventually with his new wife and you guys can have a little boy trip.

03:14:24 - 03:14:33 | Speaker 1:

I've got to be honest with you. I don't think it will be as fun just hanging out with Joe, Jacob, and Luke. I think this would be more fun because of Jed, Grant, Aaron.

03:14:33 - 03:14:34 | Speaker 3:

That is so rude.

03:14:34 - 03:14:36 | Speaker 1:

You know, those guys.

03:14:36 - 03:14:39 | Speaker 3:

You're jealous you have FOMO, but you need to get over it.

03:14:40 - 03:14:40 | Speaker 1:

I do.

03:14:41 - 03:14:43 | Speaker 3:

You're the dad. Time to move on.

03:14:43 - 03:14:47 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Keith, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. What do you think of this, Keith?

03:14:48 - 03:14:58 | Speaker 3:

Oh, hey, I was just letting Joe know that I can supply the weed if he needs it. Interesting.

03:15:00 - 03:15:07 | Speaker 5:

What else? Why would you be good to come? We have open spots. What else would you bring? The vibes? Oh.

03:15:09 - 03:15:19 | Speaker 1:

You know the chocolate bars? You know what those are? Yeah, basically anything to, you know, uplift the party.

03:15:20 - 03:15:21 | Speaker 7:

Jed was just recently.

03:15:21 - 03:15:22 | Speaker 1:

We do need a DD.

03:15:22 - 03:15:33 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, Jed was just recently in Toledo for his best buddies from UT's wedding, right? Who got married, Jed?

03:15:34 - 03:15:36 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, my buddy Evan got married this last weekend.

03:15:36 - 03:15:38 | Speaker 7:

Did you cross the border and go buy Michigan weed?

03:15:39 - 03:15:42 | Speaker 6:

No, they have weed recreational in Ohio now. Oh, they do?

03:15:42 - 03:15:46 | Speaker 7:

How is Ohio's recreational weed compared to Michigan?

03:15:47 - 03:16:02 | Speaker 6:

Just, it's not good. Really? It's not good, no. Because in Michigan, it's like you go and look at the THC percentages, you take one puff and you feel like Willie Nelson hopping off a tour bus. I did not get that feeling when I was in Ohio.

03:16:02 - 03:16:11 | Speaker 3:

Is this bachelor party about weed or is it about... Because I'm grounding everyone. No one's allowed to go if this is what it's about.

03:16:11 - 03:16:15 | Speaker 7:

Chell, see that? I don't even like women. And I don't even like weed.

03:16:15 - 03:16:21 | Speaker 5:

That's a quick way to not get invited to the bachelor party. I don't like

03:16:21 - 03:16:38 | Speaker 7:

I'm not a weed person you know that all you guys know that I don't do weed at all so I would be there for the cocktails it would be fun it would be nice to go to Shea Paul or get some beignets at Cafe Du Monde

03:16:38 - 03:16:43 | Speaker 3:

you have a gluten allergy hold on

03:16:43 - 03:16:49 | Speaker 7:

Trey are you there Trey good morning Mojo Should I be invited to my son's bachelor party?

03:16:51 - 03:17:00 | Speaker 2:

I absolutely think you should go. This might make you feel a little bit better. But on my 21st birthday, my mother took me to my first strip club.

03:17:01 - 03:17:06 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God. Chelsea, why did you not do that for Luke this year?

03:17:06 - 03:17:08 | Speaker 3:

Well, I guess there's still time for Luke.

03:17:09 - 03:17:15 | Speaker 7:

Trey, what was that like? Did you get a dance from a stripper in front of your mom?

03:17:15 - 03:17:49 | Speaker 2:

no that i did i refused to do um but it was yeah it was definitely it was definitely a little weird yeah um but it was it was an amazing time my first time ever going my mom's like why not you know and i was like all right it was it was not just like me and my mom it was a bunch of buddies too but it was it was a good time i recommend you go quick question for you trey did you get a boner at all while you were there okay yeah well well like i said i couldn't really get a dance in front my mom because i felt like that was weird so that's a little because i gotta be honest with

03:17:49 - 03:17:54 | Speaker 7:

you i think that if my mom were there there would be no boner there's no boner happening

03:17:54 - 03:18:07 | Speaker 4:

what's going on mike how you doing i'm good man how y'all doing this morning fantastic mike your thoughts on this that's what's up bro joe bro mojo bro use the wallet he's gonna be your wallet the

03:18:07 - 03:18:12 | Speaker 3:

whole trip well like chelsea said though even if he doesn't go i did i kind of like this right now

03:18:12 - 03:18:17 | Speaker 5:

So far, so good. Yeah, weed, mushrooms, money. And moaners.

03:18:19 - 03:18:30 | Speaker 4:

And on top of that, it don't hurt to have Dad come along. You know, he's going to be chilling, paying for things, getting a few drinks. And like he says, he knows New Orleans better than anybody who's gone.

03:18:30 - 03:18:45 | Speaker 7:

Believe me, we're going to go to the, what is the, the Pat O'Brien's. We'll go to Pat O'Brien's where the dueling piano guy is there. So hold on, Ron, last call from you, Ron, before I get yelled at by Chelsea off the air. What's going on?

03:18:45 - 03:18:49 | Speaker 2:

No, I think you need to go, man, because I can just see you in the back of the strip club

03:18:49 - 03:18:51 | Speaker 1:

with a quarter zip and some capsules on.

03:18:52 - 03:18:54 | Speaker 2:

My God, I don't know what you're doing here.

03:18:57 - 03:19:27 | Speaker 7:

That is so accurate. Ron, you are not even fun. I appreciate you guys so much. By the way, shout out to Jed, too, because if you listen to The Joe Show and, of course, 93.3 FLZ in Tampa on the iHeartRadio app. Last week there was a segment that I listened to where they were giving Jed crap because Jed, they said, was not doing enough planning of this. How the hell did he get roped into this? He's not even the best man. You have two brothers that are best men.

03:19:28 - 03:19:35 | Speaker 5:

Because Jacob doesn't want to go, and I don't, I mean, Luke's 21. Do you think he'd plan it? Luke would plan a hell of a party.

03:19:35 - 03:19:50 | Speaker 3:

Jacob does want to go. That's what I got last week, Mojo. Jacob is a psychologist that has a big boy job that's just started. He doesn't want to go. He wants to support you. And, yeah, Luke needs direction for sure.

03:19:50 - 03:19:52 | Speaker 5:

But so does Jen.

03:19:53 - 03:19:57 | Speaker 3:

Your bachelor party would be up at MSU at the fraternity house.

03:19:58 - 03:20:00 | Speaker 7:

Harper's would be hanging out at Harper's.

03:20:00 - 03:20:04 | Speaker 4:

03:20:29 - 03:20:32 | Speaker 1:

Okay, there you go. No, no, I like the one better. What is that?

03:20:33 - 03:20:33 | Unknown:

03:20:42 - 03:20:43 | Speaker 1:

03:20:44 - 03:20:45 | Unknown:

03:20:46 - 03:20:49 | Speaker 1:

03:21:28 - 03:21:39 | Speaker 1:

Nick is getting ghosted. Where did you guys go out to, Nick? We went out to a dive bar. So you just went to a dive bar and hung out there for the night?

03:21:41 - 03:21:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that was kind of the plan, and she ended up coming over, and we had sex.

03:21:46 - 03:22:02 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. So you guys had sex, and she's not calling you back. You know how rare this is? It's very rare, and not rare that somebody doesn't call back after sex. Usually the guys are the ones that are notorious for doing this. Oh, interesting.

03:22:03 - 03:22:06 | Speaker 3:

I would say it's. I told her to call me when she got home, but I haven't heard back.

03:22:06 - 03:22:28 | Speaker 1:

It's interesting. I wonder how many guys are listening to the show right now, and if you are a guy that's listening, had sex with a girl, and then she never called you back afterwards, You should call us up and make Nick feel a little bit better She's on the phone with us right now To explain what's going on Lauren is on the phone Nick say hi to Lauren Hey Hi

03:22:28 - 03:22:36 | Speaker 3:

I was worried that you didn't have a home That's why you never called back

03:22:36 - 03:22:40 | Speaker 4:

No No I didn't

03:22:40 - 03:22:58 | Speaker 1:

Hey Lauren Oh my goodness Lauren, first off, can I tell you, I appreciate you for answering our messages that we were leaving you because we get a lot of people that leave us on read and don't actually come on the air with us. So thank you for doing that.

03:22:59 - 03:23:00 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, no worries.

03:23:01 - 03:23:15 | Speaker 1:

So I mentioned it's very rare that it's the woman not calling back. so talk to me talk to me about what it is with nick are you not interested or what's going on

03:23:16 - 03:23:42 | Speaker 4:

um there was one thing that was like just really massive for me and it was um his night light okay he has this gigantic um night light that he has and he refuses to sleep in the dark I think he's like legitimately afraid of the dark come on

03:23:42 - 03:24:01 | Speaker 1:

that's got to be a load of crap there's no you're doing this all over a night light you're not calling him back because the guy has a night light hello did I lose you too

03:24:01 - 03:24:05 | Speaker 4:

Lauren did I lose her

03:24:06 - 03:24:08 | Speaker 1:

Lydia, get Lauren back on the phone.

03:24:08 - 03:24:11 | Speaker 4:

Nick, are you afraid of the dark? How big is this thing?

03:24:11 - 03:24:35 | Speaker 3:

No, I'm not afraid of the dark. It's just like if the power goes out, like, I need to be able to navigate around. If the power goes out, the nightlight goes out, my friend. Well, it depends what kind of nightlight. There's like a battery function in that thing. It'll keep it alive for a little bit longer. What bright is it? Is this like a normal nightlight? I think it's just a normal. I think it's a normal nightlight. I think she's just overreacting.

03:24:35 - 03:24:48 | Speaker 1:

So real quick, you have the nightlight plugged in. You didn't purposely just put the thing in there because you were having her over. It's just something that's there all the time, right?

03:24:50 - 03:24:55 | Speaker 3:

No, this wasn't an attempt at flattery, so I could see better. This was just a thing that's in my room. This is what you normally do.

03:24:55 - 03:25:03 | Speaker 1:

He's got the nightlight. Okay. All right. Hold on. Fair. Lauren's back with us. Lauren, did we offend you, or did you have a bad cell service?

03:25:04 - 03:25:11 | Speaker 4:

No, I was on, and it just stopped. I couldn't hear you guys. I don't know what happened.

03:25:11 - 03:25:24 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you couldn't hear? Okay. Well, so, Lauren, he has had that nightlight for a while, and you just, I'm assuming, Nick, do you use that nightlight to be able to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, like, without walking in the walls?

03:25:26 - 03:25:35 | Speaker 4:

That's literally the only reason it's there. Yeah. If it was bothersome, you could have unplugged it, but it's just, it's a normal nightlight. So do you, I.

03:25:35 - 03:25:38 | Speaker 2:

So you made an assumption, Lauren, that he was afraid of the dark and that's what the nightlight's for.

03:25:42 - 03:25:45 | Speaker 4:

Yes, that, that was part of the conversation.

03:25:47 - 03:26:07 | Speaker 1:

Man, I kind of feel bad for the poor guy because like, I, I like to sleep with, uh. The TV. Yeah. Well, I like to have the TV for that reason. Like, you know, just kind of, like, make me know that I'm not going to, like, there's nothing worse than stubbing your freaking toe on a piece of furniture or something that's, you know, you ever do that at all?

03:26:07 - 03:26:20 | Speaker 2:

I just feel like everybody has different sleep habits. And to me, having a little light on is no different than, like, leaving the hallway light on and cracking your door or leaving the TV on or having a noise machine or, you know, like.

03:26:20 - 03:26:20 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

03:26:20 - 03:26:22 | Speaker 4:

Why didn't you say something about it?

03:26:23 - 03:26:24 | Speaker 1:

Like, hey, can we unplug? Yeah.

03:26:24 - 03:26:55 | Speaker 4:

i yeah i probably should have um but because then you would have realized too that he didn't need it he wasn't afraid of the dark right um yeah yeah no i i understand i just was like you know it's obviously not my place and and stuff so i i just got a little bit um weirded out and i i didn't want to say anything but yeah that's yeah the night light was the was a massive issue hold on

03:26:55 - 03:27:10 | Speaker 1:

one sec uh adrian's on the phone adrian are you there yeah i'm here man what's going on adrian you hear this nick nick's not getting a call back in yeah so at first i was kind of laughing

03:27:10 - 03:27:23 | Speaker 3:

a little bit man because but then i thought about it all females got like leds in their bedroom nowadays too so i mean what's the difference what i know a lot of people i do

03:27:23 - 03:27:29 | Speaker 4:

i know men too oh like the around the tv or something yeah like the very like they have

03:27:29 - 03:27:35 | Speaker 3:

it lit up like a studio at no time so it's like you get red lights yeah you're right it's no

03:27:35 - 03:27:49 | Speaker 1:

different do you know different are you are you sympathizing with nick adrian because you're a guy that also didn't get called back after a girl had sex with you all right so that's really why i

03:27:49 - 03:28:27 | Speaker 3:

called but i had to think about it man yeah why did you yeah yeah so you had sex with a girl and she didn't call you why do you think that was oh man there's been plenty of times i had what what do you think a one-night stand is bro i understand but usually it's the guy that causes the one night stand i think i mean it could go both ways i feel like i don't know okay i had plenty i had plenty of times that i had sexual women and they didn't call me back not because i felt like it was a bad time i just felt like it was a good time yeah hold on amanda what's up

03:28:27 - 03:29:10 | Speaker 5:

amanda it's mojo in the morning good morning um so i was just gonna say that like i don't think she should have ghosted him over it by any means but i do get that like sleep habits are very important for you two to be like aligned on obviously if it were to like move forward and then you end up like getting married or moving in together um like my husband has to sleep with some sort of like either sound or like you know some podcast or something playing yeah um and Like, now I'm the same way. So I can kind of understand why she was like, no, this would be a really big deal breaker. But I definitely think she should have said something first.

03:29:10 - 03:29:31 | Speaker 1:

I agree. I agree. What do you think? What would you be more annoyed by if you weren't somebody that likes noisemakers or a light that's on? Like, it's different. I think it's different if the guy sleeps with lights on or a woman sleeps with lights on compared to a nightlight. unless it was so bright that you just couldn't get it out of your head.

03:29:31 - 03:29:33 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, see, I love a noisemaker. Me too. I sleep with one every night.

03:29:35 - 03:29:47 | Speaker 1:

Doesn't the guy want you to be the noisemaker? I mean, I hate to say this, but if Kev were here, he would. With Kev's not here, first off, I feel like almost I have to say the comments. No, you don't.

03:29:47 - 03:29:50 | Speaker 2:

You don't, because he's going to get in trouble for his comments anyway.

03:29:50 - 03:29:51 | Speaker 1:

Okay, all right.

03:29:51 - 03:29:52 | Speaker 2:

You're going to dump yourself.

03:29:52 - 03:29:54 | Speaker 1:

Ron, what do you think about this, Ron?

03:29:55 - 03:30:00 | Speaker 3:

Man, what's the word, bro? She really just didn't like, oh, dude, or he wasn't.

03:30:00 - 03:30:08 | Speaker 7:

wasn't at home because if he was if he was knocking the stuffing out of that muffin she wouldn't be talking about no little nightlight or something were you knocking the stuffing out of

03:30:08 - 03:30:15 | Speaker 8:

the muffin nick i don't know i thought i'd be talking about no little nightlight bro

03:30:15 - 03:30:28 | Speaker 7:

ron is a legend listen like if somebody comes into the room in the middle of the night you can see him you're not freaked out exactly coming into your room lock your door intruders what's up

03:30:28 - 03:30:29 | Speaker 5:

Trevor, how you doing?

03:30:30 - 03:30:50 | Speaker 8:

Yo, yo, I was, man, all I was going to say is I feel bad for this guy because for real, I'll be stubbing my toe every single night. Oh, my God, you guys. It's pitch dark. It is pitch dark in my room. We have our daughter sleeping in there, so we don't have a light in there. And I swear, I'd be breaking my toes in there. With your daughter, you step on her toys.

03:30:50 - 03:30:56 | Speaker 7:

So much lack of grace. You guys can't maneuver in the dark. I'm shocked at how big of an issue this is.

03:30:56 - 03:30:59 | Speaker 3:

I always hated stepping on my kids' toys in the middle of the night.

03:30:59 - 03:31:04 | Speaker 7:

I guess so, yeah. I mean, maybe with kids, but I never had that issue.

03:31:05 - 03:31:06 | Speaker 5:

Sarah, what's going on?

03:31:07 - 03:31:41 | Speaker 7:

Good morning, everyone. Good morning. Nothing much. I'm listening to this lady's comment, okay? If I go home and sleep with someone, and I'm not calling them back, he used the nightlight as an excuse, but his sex must have been garbage. And I'm listening to the other guy. The other guy said, yeah, and the other guy that just called, he said, yeah, I have one-night stares all the time. Your sex is garbage as well. Because if I get some good sex, I'm calling your ass back. Tell him. I'm calling you back. I might call you back before I get home.
