Showtime. We'll be right back.

00:03:57 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

good morning welcome to the mojo in the morning show for this wednesday january the 4th 2023 it's wednesday january 4th otherwise known as national re-stay our resident social impact director re-celebrating a birthday today happy birthday to you, Reece. Thank you very much. Appreciate that. We love Reece so much. Actually, yesterday I got home after doing the show and Chelsea said, I've got some things for you for Reece. And I thought to myself, I'm like, oh, because I honestly, can I be honest with you, Reece? I didn't know it was your birthday until Spike sent a text message telling me that it was your birthday. I don't have birthdays there unless I look at Facebook and go see whose birthdays are there. Same. I'm pretty bad, too. Yeah, I feel bad. Like, honestly.

00:05:00 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 1:

It's like one of those things. And I feel like on our show sometimes we always need to plan out birthdays ahead of time. And we do have some special stuff planned for you. But Chelsea handed me three gift cards yesterday. So she hands over to me two Target gift cards and a Dick's Sporting Goods gift card.

00:05:24 - 00:05:25 | Speaker 2:

Hey, thank you, Chelsea.

00:05:25 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 1:

And they weren't, don't be offended by this because she didn't know it was your birthday. She was doing it because of the conversation that we had yesterday of everybody send Reese your gift cards. So yesterday we were talking about Reese had a very good Christmas. He bought lots of gifts for family members. He's got, you know, very beautiful sisters, mom, and she's got, you know, got the niece and stuff. So he overspent. So we're asking people to send your remaining gift cards to iHeartRadio in care of Reese Gift Card Exchange, 27675 Halstead Road, Farmington Hills, Michigan. Shannon, what's the zip?

00:06:10 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 3:

48331. Doesn't matter if you just have $4 left on a smoothie. He'll use it. Yeah, that's a smoothie. I'll take it.

00:06:16 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 1:

Chelsea had, I think the target gift cards are each $5 each. You know, you get those when you purchase a certain amount.

00:06:22 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. Like buy three tides. It's a $5 gift. I'm always a sucker for that.

00:06:27 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 1:

What are you doing for your birthday today, young man?

00:06:31 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 2:

I'm not too sure yet. I don't have any legit plans. It's a Wednesday, so you can't really do anything too awesome.

00:06:38 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 1:

And you just got done hanging with all your friends over the holidays and stuff, right?

00:06:43 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm over them. I need some me time.

00:06:48 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 1:

Actually, Wednesdays aren't bad birthdays. as bad of birthdays as the birthdays that fall, like, on a Monday. Yes. You know?

00:06:57 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 2:

I agree. I totally agree.

00:07:00 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 1:

They're not great. Here's the deal. Maybe for your birthday, and I'm back in studio tomorrow, so I will have something for you tomorrow, including those gift cards. But maybe for your birthday, I will buy you your own pack of water and cottage cheese.

00:07:19 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 2:

Oh. I think you should buy Rhonda a pack of water and some cottage cheese Because that is who the real refrigerator thief is

00:07:29 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 3:

Oh, did you find out the thief? I found out Really? Okay, so Reese was here a few extra days over the holidays We weren't here How did you find out?

00:07:37 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 2:

So it was during that snowstorm when nobody was here It was just me and Rhonda And Rhonda comes to the audio studio and she's like Oh, can you help me with this hot chocolate? Because she needed help with the Keurig that we have in that little you know the room with the refrigerator basically yeah and so she asked for my help i helped her and she was saying that the door was open the entire time so to be clear ronda's not a member of the

00:07:58 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 3:

morning show she does traffic reports for other radio stations but she somehow found her way into

00:08:02 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 2:

the morning show refrigerator in the morning show office and i don't feel like it was her first time doing that i was gonna say she looked comfortable with what she was doing yeah well i was gonna say

00:08:12 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 1:

spike he referred to it as that room with the keurig machine that room with the keurig machine

00:08:16 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 3:

So how did you get on the topic of the cottage cheese and the water and stuff?

00:08:23 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 2:

Well, we didn't talk about that. We only really talked about her hot chocolate, but she kept saying, she's like, every time the door is open, I always like to use this Keurig because it's so much better. And I'm like, oh, really, Rhonda?

00:08:35 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 1:

I feel like you just like the cottage cheese. She could be. She could be just bringing her own Keurig, you know.

00:08:43 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 3:

Did she have her K-cups or did she open our little bins? I think she might have opened the bins. I'm not going to lie. There are some hot chocolate in there.

00:08:50 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 1:

Rhonda. Rhonda, by the way, is the same person that whenever we have free food sent to us, she will come down. It's funny.

00:08:59 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 3:

Hey, guys. How are you? What's going on? Yeah.

00:09:03 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 1:

And the last time, remember, it was Red Robin came in for Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish and especially made me gluten-free, and Rhonda ate all the gluten-free stuff.

00:09:15 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 3:

Well, we'll have our producer set her straight Because Rhonda also has the hots for Jed So I feel like maybe we need to send KP after her

00:09:24 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 1:

Remember they went Didn't they go on a date spike? Didn't they have

00:09:27 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 3:

I think they might have gone out I don't remember They did They did go out Yeah

00:09:33 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 1:

Jed has dated a vast variety of ladies, hasn't he? Mm-hmm Rhonda He goes from Rhonda to KP What a The Colors of the Rainbow. I love it.

00:09:47 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Oh, my God. Hit her over the head with the Keurig.

00:09:51 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

I wouldn't mess with Rhonda, though. Honestly. I'm worried. Reese, are you sure you want to bring this up on the radio? I'm kind of scared. You already have.

00:10:00 - 00:10:02 | Speaker 3:

Trudy that hates you. Now you're going to have

00:10:02 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 4:

Rhonda that hates you. I'm just going to have to walk around with like a paper bag over my head or

00:10:05 - 00:10:11 | Speaker 3:

something. Brittany, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. Welcome to the show.

00:10:12 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 1:

Hi. I was wanting the call to let Reese to know happy birthday. Oh, thank you. And my birthday is actually tomorrow. So Capricorn Squad. Happy early birthday. What are you supposed to do?

00:10:24 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 3:

Capricorn Squad? Woo woo or something like that?

00:10:26 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Woo woo.

00:10:27 - 00:10:30 | Speaker 3:

Isn't Shannon, are you a Capricorn too?

00:10:30 - 00:10:32 | Speaker 1:

I am. My birthday's on the 19th.

00:10:32 - 00:10:32 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:10:32 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 1:

And Fletch. Yep. And Fletch is also the 19th. Yep.

00:10:36 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 3:

January birthday.

00:10:38 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 5:

What a dysfunctional bunch.

00:10:41 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 3:

Have you dated Reese or Jed or been insulted by Reese at any time? Reese, I am going to, I'm fine. Thank you, by the way, Brittany. Hey, Brittany, let me ask you a question. What do you think the odds are that Rhonda is the refrigerator thief?

00:10:57 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 1:

uh pretty good ass yep yeah very high pretty good ass we're gonna we're gonna put the finger on her

00:11:03 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 3:

all right thank you so much i just say we're gonna i didn't i didn't mean it that way all

00:11:08 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 5:

right take care of yourself britney check this out i'm reading his birthday horoscope and it says new sources of income will improve your financial position new contracts will be highly beneficial fruitful journeys bringing you desired results blessings are high on your agenda coming in the mail yeah oh that's the gift cards yeah let's go actually whenever i read the uh the horoscopes

00:11:36 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 3:

it will say stuff like that and i'm thinking do you think the person that writes a horoscope is going to put in there some bad stuff they really don't ever do right you'll die on friday

00:11:45 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 2:

That would be such a great job. Wouldn't that? You're going to stub your toe today. Enjoy.

00:11:53 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 3:

So, Reese, birthday is today. By the way, I know this sounds bad to say this. I always assume that you're 25. Are you 25? I'm 27. I feel like an old man. Really?

00:12:04 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 1:

Wait, you're such a baby, though. You can't be 27. 22.

00:12:08 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 4:

21.

00:12:09 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 5:

How did you turn 27?

00:12:11 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 3:

How did he turn 27 and we didn't know about it?

00:12:13 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 5:

I don't know.

00:12:13 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 4:

Time flies when you're smoking weed.

00:12:18 - 00:12:28 | Speaker 3:

What do you want for your birthday? Like, if you had a wish, what would be the gift that would be like, oh, this is the most amazing gift ever?

00:12:29 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 4:

Ooh, maybe just Mojo saying that I can come in at any time that I want ever. You've done that a lot in 2022. Even today, I was kind of pushing it a little bit.

00:12:39 - 00:12:53 | Speaker 3:

Did you honestly, when we did a show meeting and we were all like, where's Reese at? And we knew we were going to start off the show talking about your birthday. And I thought to myself, maybe do we let him go or something? But did you think, okay, it's my birthday. They'll never say anything.

00:12:53 - 00:13:02 | Speaker 4:

I totally thought that because I wasn't going to get Starbucks because I didn't really have time this morning. But I'm like, you know, it's my birthday and it's my birthday. Yeah.

00:13:02 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 3:

Is it bad, by the way, that we should, by the way, get him Starbucks? but we can't send Reese to go get the Starbucks for himself.

00:13:10 - 00:13:12 | Speaker 5:

Yes, you can. Yeah, no, you can.

00:13:12 - 00:13:13 | Speaker 4:

You can definitely do that.

00:13:14 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 5:

You just said he needs some time alone. He needs some time to himself.

00:13:17 - 00:13:18 | Speaker 3:

I might not come back for a while.

00:13:18 - 00:13:21 | Speaker 5:

He's getting Starbucks. Yeah, he might not come back for three hours. That's the problem.

00:13:22 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 3:

What's the guy's name that is at Starbucks over on Cabot there in... Coober.

00:13:27 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 4:

Is he still there?

00:13:28 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 3:

Yep.

00:13:28 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 4:

He is.

00:13:29 - 00:13:30 | Speaker 3:

The man, the myth, the legend.

00:13:30 - 00:13:32 | Speaker 4:

Don't you get free Starbucks today, by the way?

00:13:32 - 00:13:33 | Speaker 3:

I do. Oh, yeah.

00:13:33 - 00:13:34 | Speaker 2:

Okay, all right.

00:13:34 - 00:13:35 | Speaker 4:

That's a good call.

00:13:35 - 00:14:06 | Speaker 3:

wait, Reese is going to get Starbucks for everybody else and his own free Starbucks what a celebration I can't believe out of everything that you asked for of what you would want, like instead of saying I would like to get, you know, I'd like a $500 Delta Airlines gift card or I'd like to, you know, be able to get a spa day or, you know, like I'm trying, maybe those are just things I would want, but you chose just to be able to come in at any time you wanted to come in.

00:14:07 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, maybe even just like an hour later every day. Who knows? Wait, on a permanent basis or just your birthday? I'm kind of thinking permanent. I'm not going to lie, but if you want to work with just the birthday, that's fine. I'm willing to work on this.

00:14:22 - 00:14:31 | Speaker 3:

Okay. All right. So here's the deal. In honor of this, for your next birthday, for your 28th birthday, you can come in at 7 o'clock if you'd like. Let's go.

00:14:32 - 00:14:32 | Speaker 4:

All right.

00:14:32 - 00:14:57 | Speaker 3:

Just remind us, because we will forget about that. We have a great show for you today. It is our Wednesday edition of the show, which I was waking up this morning trying to think of, like, you know, all the stuff that we have on the show, and I'm screwed up because we started work, you know, yesterday being Tuesday. So I kind of got, did you guys, any of you guys have, like, a really hard time adjusting to the fact that you had to wake up?

00:14:58 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Oh, my God, yeah.

00:15:00 - 00:15:25 | Speaker 3:

I was so tired. So I never do this. And Chelsea knows, don't allow me to do it, but she did yesterday. I was falling asleep. We went to lunch with Joe and his girlfriend. And then it was kind of a late lunch. I was falling asleep at the table the entire time that we were there. And I got home, and it was 5 o'clock. I ended up sleeping from 5 till 6.

00:15:25 - 00:15:27 | Speaker 5:

That's the worst. It's the worst time to do it.

00:15:28 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 3:

And you can't fall asleep then, right?

00:15:29 - 00:15:30 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:15:30 - 00:15:44 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's a nightmare. And I think it's, you know, we talked about how our sleep patterns were, you know, during our break. I think it takes maybe two or three weeks to get back into the kick of things.

00:15:45 - 00:16:02 | Speaker 5:

I agree with you. I've been telling myself that I am not allowed to snooze anymore because I was doing it so bad at the end of last year. And I mean, the past two days, I'm making it sound like it's been two or three weeks already. But just to, like, actually wake up when my alarm goes off and even if I have extra time to just kind of putz around in the morning has helped a little bit. Yeah.

00:16:03 - 00:16:38 | Speaker 3:

I thought about this yesterday. And because, you know, we talked about how kids aren't back at school until, I know, tomorrow is going to be a big day for, like, Luke's going back to school. And that day, I don't know how many other schools are going back. And then I know somebody said that there's some schools that start on Friday. I'm like, why bother? You know, why not just give them the whole week off? But I thought about us starting earlier, but it's kind of nice to, I guess, get the kinks worked out, so to speak. And Reese. There's Reese here. Yeah, we had to celebrate his birthday. He worked over the break. What was the story, Reese? You used up all your vacation day or something?

00:16:38 - 00:16:47 | Speaker 2:

I sure did. Yep. I went on that trip right before Thanksgiving. Do you think you'll ever do that again, or will you take off the entire time? Hell no. I will never do that again.

00:16:47 - 00:16:57 | Speaker 1:

Some people do that on purpose because they like when everybody else goes on vacation and you have the whole place to yourself. It was kind of nice. It's kind of quiet. You get more done. Nobody in here talking to you all the time.

00:16:57 - 00:17:05 | Speaker 2:

The only thing that kind of sucked was just the snow. Like getting to and from was really tricky. Yeah. Well, who would have predicted that, right? Got to hang out with Rhonda.

00:17:07 - 00:17:16 | Speaker 4:

Exactly. How smart are you? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events and you tell us what year it happened.

00:17:16 - 00:17:32 | Speaker 3:

All right, all three of these things happened in the same year. This was the year that the Sochi Olympic Games took place. And do you guys remember all of the craziness that happened with where people stayed and how bad the accommodations were?

00:17:32 - 00:17:42 | Speaker 7:

And then there are the conditions like the hotels are not finished. They've got the Internet. Now, they do have the Internet, so good for them. But you know what? You don't want to see the wires dangling.

00:17:43 - 00:17:45 | Speaker 3:

Icon Joan Rivers died in the chair.

00:17:45 - 00:17:54 | Speaker 6:

Rivers was known for her raspy voice, her New York accent, and her self-deprecating style, often making fun of her extensive plastic surgery.

00:17:54 - 00:18:08 | Speaker 3:

And Happy was the big song that was on the radio in this year from Pharrell. What year was this? We will set you up with tickets. We got WWE tickets to give away, so good luck.

00:18:09 - 00:18:26 | Speaker 4:

If you talk a big game in the car, prove how smart you are. Tell us the year this stuff happened. 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 Mojo in the morning Testing your memory this early in the morning This is Mojo's Back in the Day What year did this stuff happen?

Aw, that's sweet. He's there somewhere. He's not in the studio, but I'll pass along the message. He's right now dealing with Rhonda in the hallway.

00:20:25 - 00:20:36 | Speaker 4:

collapsed during the end of the game yeah we'll actually start with that the latest update that We have on Buffalo Bill's safety, DeMar Hamlin. His uncle was sharing some information outside of UC Medical Center last night.

00:20:39 - 00:20:44 | Speaker 1:

I'm just glad he's still alive and able to fight and trying to get better and recover.

00:20:44 - 00:20:48 | Speaker 2:

You told me off camera your nephew died twice. Can you explain?

00:20:48 - 00:21:05 | Speaker 1:

Well, his heart had went out, so they had to resuscitate him twice. They resuscitated him on the field before they brought him to the hospital. and then they resuscitated him a second time when he got to the hospital. So I just want to show my gratitude for the medical staff that were on hand because if not for them, I'm definitely probably wouldn't even be here.

00:21:05 - 00:21:27 | Speaker 4:

So the goal right now is to get DeMar to breathe without assistance. He's currently on a ventilator, about 50%, according to his uncle. He said he also suffered some lung damage, but is optimistic that he will be able to breathe on his own very soon. You know, I know, side note, yesterday the NFL announced the Bengals' Bills will not resume their game this week.

00:21:27 - 00:21:35 | Speaker 2:

You know, I saw yesterday I thought was pretty cool, and it might be controversial for those that, you know, don't like it.

00:21:35 - 00:21:36 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to play it, actually.

00:21:36 - 00:21:55 | Speaker 2:

Are you? Okay, NESPN, they literally stopped their analysis of football, and they said a prayer on television for them. So later this morning, Shannon, we'll play you that. But it didn't get any negatives, which I was so happy to see that, because I think so many people are pulling together through prayer for this young guy.

00:21:56 - 00:22:04 | Speaker 4:

Khloe Kardashian's face seems to be ever-changing lately. Most recently, it was bangs. She had bangs for the cover of Sorbet magazine.

00:22:04 - 00:22:05 | Speaker 3:

I still can't tell you which one's Khloe.

00:22:05 - 00:23:31 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Well, she looked so different. Some people were even confusing her for Taylor Swift on this particular magazine cover. So what gives? Is it the bangs that are making her look so different as of late? Or was there a whole lot of Photoshop involved there? Well, Chloe took to her Instagram yesterday to show off the clip-on bangs that she used for the cover, for her look on the cover. And she made the comment that she was surprised she liked the bangs, quote-unquote, even though they changed the shape of my face, is what she wrote. Well, that caption got a big response from fans, as you can imagine, with one person commenting, oh, it was the bangs that changed your face so much in these photos. And there have been ongoing rumors that Chloe has had some extensive cosmetic surgery recently. She did respond to all of the comments. She wrote, so recently, the only change is the bangs. I didn't know I had to do a running list. She continued, I openly talk about my nose job, and anyone who looks up to me must know I've lost 60 pounds over the years. Either way, attacking someone is sad, in my opinion. Unprovoked is the saddest part. Women attacking other women is lame. Happy New Year. Beyonce is set to perform at the launch of Dubai's newest resort. It's called Atlantis the Royal later this month. It's going to be her first time performing at a show, at a concert, since she did Global Citizen way back in 2018. But I'm talking about this because I want to know how much she's making.

00:23:31 - 00:23:33 | Speaker 2:

Oh, it's got to be crazy.

00:23:33 - 00:23:43 | Speaker 4:

For one hour, a one-hour set at this brand-new resort. It's invite-only for, you know, this is a five-star hotel. One hour, $24 million.

00:23:43 - 00:23:54 | Speaker 3:

Oh, man. Good for her. Isn't that insane? Wow. That's not, no. That's just ridiculous. One hour of work. It is ridiculous, but we would all take the gig.

00:23:55 - 00:24:06 | Speaker 2:

Wow. You know, it's funny, all those golfers, remember the golfers that went over to that live tour from the PGA, and then they all got shunned? Why would you not take this money? Like, you know what I mean?

00:24:06 - 00:24:09 | Speaker 3:

Well, Dubai's different than the Saudi Arabians.

00:24:09 - 00:24:14 | Speaker 2:

Really? Well, yeah. Isn't it all the same thing?

00:24:14 - 00:24:23 | Speaker 3:

Much different nation. Not in the same place. Some people have been accused of violence and murder and human rights issues. Dubai's been accused of that stuff, too.

00:24:24 - 00:24:37 | Speaker 2:

Listen, I'm going to say this to you. I wanted to go to Dubai forever. That's like my dream trip. For some reason, I always wanted to go there. Well, hold out. They might pay you. Well, I don't know if they get us there. Is the iHeartRadio app available there?

00:24:37 - 00:24:44 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. Wes had to go there for work last year And he said it was It was like nothing he could ever even Describe to anybody

00:25:29 - 00:25:45 | Speaker 1:

It's like Mojo. Yes. Thank God you're in wherever you are. Why are you upset with me? Rhonda, I never accuse you of anything other than being a fantastic sports reporter and one of my favorite people. Sometimes I will accuse you of talking a little too much to me when I'm trying to get back into the studio after going to the bathroom, bud.

00:25:46 - 00:26:09 | Speaker 5:

Well, first of all, I get a text from my sister, Lisa, who's like, I'm listening to Mojo, And I think they're ripping on you unless there's another Rhonda. And I'm like, well, what are they saying? And she's like, oh, something about the Keurig and you stealing food from the fridge. And I'm like, stealing food? I didn't do that. I did use a Keurig.

00:26:10 - 00:26:13 | Speaker 1:

You did use a Keurig. But you have to admit this.

00:26:13 - 00:26:15 | Speaker 5:

I stole your burger. I know.

00:26:17 - 00:26:18 | Unknown:

I know.

00:26:18 - 00:26:26 | Speaker 5:

He'll never let you live it down. Let it go. You know what? I'm bringing him a burger when he gets mad. No, you're not. Rhonda. You guys, it's just so ridiculous.

00:26:26 - 00:26:34 | Speaker 1:

First off, Rhonda, you are truly one of my favorites ever that I've ever gotten a chance to work with. And it's Reese. And I want you to know.

00:26:34 - 00:26:36 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I yelled at him and Kate.

00:26:36 - 00:26:37 | Speaker 1:

My life just flashed before man.

00:26:38 - 00:26:40 | Speaker 5:

He seriously almost started to cry.

00:26:40 - 00:26:42 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. What's his birthday?

00:26:42 - 00:27:04 | Speaker 5:

It's your birthday today? Yeah. Oh, happy birthday to you. I am so sorry. Oh, yeah. No, don't worry about it. Oh, yeah, yeah. He just ruined his birthday. Rhonda, I saw your finger. Oh, yeah, I was yelling at her, too. He already started drinking his gift. I was like, seriously, the Wicked Witch on the bike. She was freaking out.

00:27:05 - 00:27:08 | Speaker 2:

I'm like, Rhonda, you need to calm down. Never.

00:27:08 - 00:27:18 | Speaker 4:

Reese, Reese, you can never tell a woman to calm down. Never in the history of calm down has a woman ever calmed down after being told to calm down. She had steam coming out of her ears when she was talking.

00:27:18 - 00:27:27 | Speaker 5:

I was, and I guess because I got the text from my sister, and I'm like, what are you talking about? They've been gone for two weeks. They have nothing else to talk about.

00:27:28 - 00:27:37 | Speaker 1:

Rhonda, Rhonda, real quick, before you leave, and I know you've got to go back and do your thing, are the Lions going to beat the Packers and get to the playoffs?

00:27:38 - 00:27:49 | Speaker 5:

No. And you will know before they even play that game because the Seahawks play at 425 in the afternoon, So if they win, the Lions are out altogether. Oh, really?

00:27:49 - 00:27:54 | Speaker 1:

I thought the Lions just had to win. All right, so we've got to root for this. Who's playing Seahawks?

00:27:54 - 00:27:58 | Speaker 5:

And the Packers, if they win, they're winning. At Lambeau Field. Yeah, Lambeau at night, good luck.

00:27:59 - 00:28:00 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's a move to Sunday night.

00:28:01 - 00:28:05 | Speaker 4:

Will Rhonda beat Reese over the head in the park? No, we hooked it up.

00:28:05 - 00:28:10 | Speaker 5:

No, we hooked it up. Okay, good. I felt bad. I do feel a look. You know, it's that Jewish guilt. I can't let it go.

00:28:11 - 00:28:17 | Speaker 1:

I love you. Rhonda, I'm back in studio tomorrow, so I'll bring you some Keurig cups.

00:28:18 - 00:28:19 | Speaker 5:

Love you, Mojo.

00:28:19 - 00:28:20 | Speaker 1:

It's time for an official government survey. It's Mojo in the Morning Senseless Survey. Hello.

00:28:55 - 00:29:04 | Speaker 4:

Hello, Department of Senseless Surveys, United States Government. My name is Bob Dabalina, and I'm wondering if you have 30 seconds to answer our three short survey questions for the Census Bureau.

00:29:05 - 00:29:09 | Speaker 6:

What is it? I'm on oxygen seven days a week, and I'm in bed most of the time.

00:29:10 - 00:29:13 | Speaker 4:

Do you think that every kiss begins with K, or do you think more kisses begin with Bud Light?

00:29:15 - 00:29:16 | Speaker 6:

They're all a jewelry store.

00:29:16 - 00:29:21 | Speaker 4:

Why do you think kids today are more dramatic about losing their phone than they are about losing their virginity?

00:29:22 - 00:29:27 | Speaker 6:

I'll tell you. I don't know the answer to that, but it's world phone crazy.

00:29:28 - 00:29:29 | Speaker 4:

They love their phones, don't they?

00:29:29 - 00:29:34 | Speaker 6:

Yep, that's all I can say. They love their phones, that's all. They're going nuts with them.

00:29:34 - 00:29:38 | Speaker 4:

And would you agree that cars need a taco holder much more than they need a cup holder?

00:29:41 - 00:29:46 | Speaker 6:

People are driving down the road eating them. They've got to have a place to put them. I don't know.

00:29:46 - 00:29:50 | Speaker 4:

And when the Internet is really slow, do you ever wonder if everyone's watching porn all at once?

00:29:51 - 00:29:53 | Speaker 6:

Could be. I'm too f***ing old anyway.

00:29:54 - 00:30:01 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you get your porn the old-fashioned way, huh? The old magazines? Yeah. So be completely honest with me. Are there some days you're just not hustling?

00:30:03 - 00:30:04 | Speaker 2:

Every day I'm hustling.

00:30:06 - 00:30:12 | Speaker 4:

I bet you are. Do you think it's funny that in a brute, violent sport like boxing, the prize is called a purse?

00:30:14 - 00:30:20 | Speaker 2:

I would say so. It sure wasn't Mike Tyson. Sinus is mostly.

00:30:20 - 00:30:22 | Speaker 4:

What was that, I'm sorry?

00:30:23 - 00:30:25 | Speaker 2:

Mostly with the sinus problem.

00:30:28 - 00:30:36 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Well, let me just wrap this up, then. I can tell you you're a big Darth Vader fan. Are farts the jazz music of bodily functions?

00:30:38 - 00:30:44 | Speaker 2:

I'll tell you right now, I just took some milk of magnesia, and you're talking about farts.

00:30:45 - 00:30:46 | Speaker 4:

Let me hear the best fart sound you can make.

00:30:47 - 00:30:59 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I can't right now. No way. I might s*** myself. No, no, no. No, no way, Jose. I told you I just took that milk of magnesia.

00:31:00 - 00:31:00 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah.

00:31:01 - 00:31:03 | Speaker 2:

No, I'm going to stomp right now.

00:31:07 - 00:31:20 | Speaker 4:

He's my favorite. Oh, when he started taking his hit of oxygen, I was like, I hit a gold mine. Senseless survey.

00:32:05 - 00:32:06 | Speaker 2:

I'm feeling good. How are you, Dave?

00:32:06 - 00:32:11 | Speaker 1:

Doing great. Carly is your challenger. Carly from Lake Orion, what's happening?

00:32:12 - 00:32:13 | Speaker 2:

Hey, how are you?

00:32:13 - 00:32:15 | Speaker 1:

We're good. Carly, say hello to Ethan.

00:32:16 - 00:32:17 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Ethan.

00:32:18 - 00:32:18 | Speaker 3:

Good morning.

00:32:18 - 00:33:00 | Speaker 1:

We're going to lock up Ethan in a soundproof area, and then we're going to start with you, Carly. We're going to ask five pop culture trivia questions. Whoever gets the most right wins, Ty always goes to the champion. We'll put you in that soundproof area right now, and we'll be right back, Ethan. Carly, question number one. Network news icon Barbara Walters passed away last week at the age of 93. Outside of her legendary role on the evening news shows, she also founded and appeared on which ABC daytime talk show? Is it A, Good Morning America, B, Dateline, or C, The View?

00:33:01 - 00:33:02 | Speaker 2:

The View.

00:33:03 - 00:33:15 | Speaker 1:

Question number two, which British prince is sharing his truth with Anderson Cooper to discuss his strained relationship with the royal family? Hint, he'll also be releasing his memoir, Sparer.

Question number four. Dolly Parton and Miley Cyrus hosted Miley's New Year's Eve party this past New Year's. Singing songs like Wrecking Ball and Jolene together. True or false, Dolly is Miley's godmother.

00:33:52 - 00:33:52 | Unknown:

True.

00:33:53 - 00:34:21 | Speaker 1:

And question number five, known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this actor is in critical but stable condition after a snowplow injury this past weekend. Renner, Jeffrey Renner. Let's bring the champ back from a soundproof area and see how he does. I think you got a challenger today, but I think, did we go four out of five yesterday? Is that what it was, the challenger?

00:34:21 - 00:34:25 | Speaker 4:

I think so, and again, we're doing it. Carly almost closed out the board, but she got four out of five.

00:34:26 - 00:35:48 | Speaker 1:

Four out of five is what you got to do here, okay? All right. Question number one, network news icon Barbara Walters passed away last week at the age of 93. Outside of her legendary role on Evening News, she also founded and appeared on which ABC daytime talk show? Is it A, Good Morning America, B, Dateline, or C, The View? Uh, The View. Yes, scores one to one. Question number two. Which British prince is sharing his truth with Anderson... Cooper to discuss his strained relationship with the royal family. Here's a hint. He'll be also releasing his memoir, Spare. Prince Harry. Yep, two to two. Question three. The suspect in the Idaho College student slain was arrested last week. Which social media platform had internet detectives obsessed over the case, with some conspiracy videos garnering over 94-plus million views? Uh, TikTok? Yes. Three to three. Question number four. Dolly Parton and Miley Cyrus hosted Miley's New Year's Eve party, singing songs like Wrecking Ball and Jolene together. True or false, Dolly is Miley's godmother. True.

00:35:49 - 00:35:49 | Speaker 2:

Yep.

00:35:49 - 00:35:51 | Speaker 1:

Four to four. That was a guess, wasn't it?

00:35:53 - 00:35:54 | Speaker 2:

Kind of.

00:35:54 - 00:37:10 | Speaker 1:

And this was the question, and I think if she would have gotten it, I think she would have won because I'm wondering if you'll get it. Let's see. Question number five. Known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this actor is in critical but stable condition after a snowplow injury this past weekend. Jeremy Renner. There we go. You got it. You got it. You got it. Why doubt it? Five to four. I'm never going to doubt you again, okay? You're very good. I thought for some reason that you weren't going to get that, but you did get that. Congratulations. Thank you. You got it. You got it. We're having you back tomorrow as you go towards double digits. So you're going for your eighth in a row. If you would like to be a contestant tomorrow, all you have to do is text Iwantoplay right now to 95500. Hang on the phone for just one second, and we'll get some information from you on that.

00:37:11 - 00:37:28 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the mornings. 5 is 6.55. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning, live.

00:37:32 - 00:40:00 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning, coming up here in just a little bit. It's the rumor that's got everyone in Spike's family talking. What do they think, or what did one person in particular think was going on in Spike's life? We'll talk about that coming up here. Spike, give me just a little bit after Five Lies. Tell your mom, okay? Okay. And we'll get into that. Also, good prizes. Put together some good ones here. Pink tickets this hour. So if you want to go see Pink in concert, we have a chance for you to win those coming up this morning. And more Taylor Swift tickets on the way. Stick around for a chance to win those right here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. If you have never been part of our show, and I mean never being somebody that has never called in or somebody that has never, you know, done any of our contests that we've done, we want to hear from you in 2023. Like, for instance, Five Lies Tell Your Mom is a great opportunity for you to win a prize for mom and do something kind of fun. And I always will hear from past listeners that have either been phone scammed, like their family member was phone scammed, or Five Lies to Tell Your Mom is another great one, and they'll play the audio for family events and stuff. It's kind of cool. Matter of fact, we were just recently, this was interesting, I think it was October or whatever, there was a wedding in Grand Rapids, and I can't remember what the venue was. It might have been, what's the outdoor botanical garden, Mike? Frederick Meyer Garden? Yeah, there you go. They had an outdoor wedding thing, and they put us on the speaker systems there. Oh, really? And I ran into a listener of ours that had an outdoor wedding, and they played the audio of a Five Lies to Tell Your Mom that took place in like 2019 or 2018. And they did it on their mom, and it was their way of having mom be part of the wedding because mom had passed. And I thought that that was so not nice to do to your dead mom. Remember, Spike, do you remember Nikki used to work at the station? Yeah. Nikki was, this is years ago, she did Middays for us, and we phone scammed her. And remember, she played, which, by the way, is very awkward. You and I sat at the table going, they're going to play the entire fight.

00:40:00 - 00:40:10 | Speaker 2:

But people were laughing and having fun. So if you'd like to do Five Lies, text MOM to 95500 and you could be on the show.

00:40:11 - 00:40:12 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:40:14 - 00:40:14 | Unknown:

Sweet.

00:40:15 - 00:41:01 | Speaker 2:

Five Lies to tell your mom. So Erin wants to do Five Lies to tell your mom. Erin, by the way, is on the straight and narrow. She's actually been working very, very hard at this. Yes. and your mom finally actually has trust in you and you're going to it all up in one phone call here on the mojo in the morning show yeah that's right oh my god all but you're going to win our prize right i hope so all right we're going to do five lies to tell your mom these are all lies this never happened but you got to make it sound like it did okay okay lie number one in five lies tell your mom, you're going to say, Mom, the police are at my house right now, and I'm in trouble.

00:41:03 - 00:41:04 | Speaker 4:

Should I be writing this down?

00:41:04 - 00:41:17 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, unless you can remember it. You sound like you got your hands full.

00:41:17 - 00:41:23 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you do. At least get, like, the bullet points, you know? Just the general gist of it is good. But you got to hit them all.

00:41:23 - 00:41:26 | Speaker 4:

My mom was just calling me, too, just now.

00:41:26 - 00:41:32 | Speaker 2:

All right, lie number two. I was at Dollar Tree and didn't bring my wallet.

00:41:34 - 00:41:34 | Unknown:

Okay.

00:41:35 - 00:41:40 | Speaker 2:

Lie number three. Security caught me and called the cops.

00:41:41 - 00:41:41 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

00:41:42 - 00:41:47 | Speaker 2:

Lie number four. I took off before they came. All right. Are you a fast driver?

00:41:48 - 00:41:49 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

00:41:49 - 00:41:54 | Speaker 2:

All right, good. because lie number five, they are now here to arrest me.

00:41:55 - 00:41:55 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

00:41:55 - 00:41:56 | Speaker 2:

You ready?

00:41:56 - 00:41:57 | Speaker 4:

All right, I'm ready.

00:41:57 - 00:41:58 | Speaker 2:

All right, let's do it. Here we go.

00:41:59 - 00:42:00 | Unknown:

All right.

00:42:05 - 00:42:54 | Speaker 4:

Oh, gosh. Hello? Mom? Yes? The cops are at my house right now. They just showed up. Um, I was at, uh, I was at Dollar Tree earlier today to stop and get something, and I didn't have my wallet on me. So I just, you know, I thought I could just take it real quick, get away with it. And, well, security caught me and called the cops, but I took off before they got me and left in the truck home, and the cops are now here to arrest me.

00:42:57 - 00:42:58 | Speaker 3:

Why do you do that?

00:43:02 - 00:43:12 | Speaker 4:

I don't have any money to bail you out. I don't know. No, I didn't know what to do. I needed it, and I didn't have my wallet, so I just thought I could.

00:43:13 - 00:43:27 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, well, that's what you're thinking gets for you. You don't steal something because you can't afford it. You wait until you can. God, Aaron, I thought you were all over that s***. That's teenage stupid s***.

00:43:28 - 00:43:30 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no, I know. I'm sorry.

00:43:30 - 00:43:45 | Speaker 2:

Is this mom? Is this your mom on the phone? Yeah. Oh, okay. Mom? Hello? Hi. How are you? I'm sorry. I'm the police officer.

00:43:46 - 00:43:49 | Speaker 3:

Well, I'm not happy about what she did.

00:43:49 - 00:43:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, we're not happy either. I know this has got to be a pain in the ass, huh?

00:43:53 - 00:43:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:43:54 - 00:43:57 | Speaker 2:

Can you believe the stuff she took, too? It's unbelievable.

00:43:58 - 00:44:00 | Speaker 3:

I can't believe at her age she's still doing this.

00:44:00 - 00:44:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Did she tell you what she took? No. She took 105 boxes of condoms.

00:44:15 - 00:44:16 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh.

00:44:18 - 00:44:39 | Speaker 2:

340 rolls of toilet paper. And five canisters of hemorrhoid cream. She was going to have one hell of a party. i'll put you back on the phone with her right now okay all right all right go ahead erin

00:44:39 - 00:44:55 | Speaker 4:

uh it was it was it was like it was forced i needed it for something are you in like complete shock are you gonna say anything

00:44:55 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 3:

What do you want me to say? I mean, I've said a thousand things before.

00:45:00 - 00:45:08 | Speaker 4:

for and apparently it doesn't do any good so what are we going to do take you to jail now

00:45:08 - 00:45:18 | Speaker 2:

it looks like it she just handed me the phone back mom yeah i'm sorry she told me the hemorrhoid

00:45:18 - 00:45:25 | Speaker 4:

cream was for you no i don't have any problems there it's not okay here i'll put you back on

00:45:25 - 00:45:26 | Speaker 2:

the phone with her. Go ahead.

00:45:29 - 00:45:33 | Speaker 4:

So the hemorrhoid cream was for me? That's what I said.

00:45:35 - 00:45:41 | Speaker 3:

I thought it would sound a little bit better when I was, like, helping my elderly mother.

00:45:42 - 00:45:45 | Speaker 4:

Stealing and stealing, Aaron, nothing makes that right.

00:45:48 - 00:45:49 | Speaker 3:

I know.

00:45:50 - 00:45:54 | Speaker 4:

I know you know, but yet you're dumb enough to go ahead and do it anyway.

00:45:54 - 00:45:59 | Speaker 2:

Mom, she handed me the phone again. Who do you think the condoms are for?

00:45:59 - 00:46:00 | Speaker 4:

I have no idea.

00:46:01 - 00:46:08 | Speaker 2:

Crazy. Real quick, Aaron's going to tell you one last thing. Aaron, go ahead. You can tell your mom the biggest news of them all.

00:46:11 - 00:46:14 | Speaker 3:

So the biggest news is this is all a joke.

00:46:14 - 00:46:19 | Speaker 2:

What? Mom, you're on five lives to tell your mom on the Mojo in the Morning show.

00:46:19 - 00:46:27 | Speaker 4:

All I can say is I'm glad my mug shot's not on it

00:46:27 - 00:46:35 | Speaker 2:

Your daughter had you on five lies to tell your mom So that she could get you a prize

00:46:35 - 00:46:38 | Speaker 4:

What kind of prize? A pack of amory cream?

00:46:41 - 00:46:46 | Speaker 2:

Mom, are you shell-shocked right now? Or are you happy that your daughter's not in trouble?

00:46:47 - 00:46:49 | Speaker 4:

I'm happy that my daughter's not in trouble Yeah.

00:46:50 - 00:46:53 | Speaker 2:

Anything that you want to say to your daughter right now?

00:46:55 - 00:46:58 | Speaker 4:

Little f***ing dude gave me a heart attack.

00:47:01 - 00:47:02 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:47:04 - 00:47:04 | Unknown:

Sweet.

00:47:05 - 00:47:09 | Speaker 1:

Five lies to tell your mom. I want more.

00:47:11 - 00:47:13 | Speaker 2:

Shannon's Dirty coming up in less than 30.

00:47:13 - 00:47:15 | Speaker 4:

Give it some Mojo in the Morning.

00:47:19 - 00:48:47 | Speaker 2:

mojo the morning show listen to this radio program on three great radio stations like channel 955 104.5 snx 92.3 kiss fm uh or on the iheart radio app on those stations and explore more of what we have to offer with the free iHeartRadio app. Yeah, you can listen to our stations anywhere you go. If you're out and about or maybe without the ability to be able to have your radio with you, I get it. I was thinking about it. I don't have a radio in my house. Really? Yeah, I used to have radio in my house, and I don't. I have the iHeartRadio app connected to a Sonos system, which I love. And I listen to the app. I don't have a good old-fashioned radio anymore. And listen, it's not that radio is bad. Radio's just got other ways to get connected. You can do it through the app, or if you want to, you can go in your car and listen to the good old-fashioned radio. I was actually just reading the other day about the iHeart app being available now in more cars than any other audio apps. that there was some audio guy or some car guy that was talking about that.

00:48:47 - 00:48:48 | Speaker 3:

That's pretty cool.

00:48:48 - 00:49:18 | Speaker 2:

That's what people want. People actually will go buy a car, and they'll say, does this thing come with blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, and the iHeartRadio app is one of the most talked about. Thank you guys for listening. It's Mojo in the Morning Show. Now, yesterday, you might remember that we were all talking to Spike, and we were asking questions about are you going to get married, are you going to propose, and stuff like that. But you didn't tell this story on the show about the rumor that almost started about you.

00:49:19 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 1:

It's so funny because when you get in a relationship, people are never just satisfied with the status quo of enjoying your happiness in a relationship. And Shannon's shaking her head yes now, too, because people are always then like, when are you getting married? When are you having kids? When are you doing this? When are you doing that? And it's like, dude, just chill. When I do, you do. and yesterday we were talking about how everybody was shocked there was no rings over the holidays well yesterday I got a call and my brother-in-law admitted to me yesterday that he thought he witnessed a family secret because when we were visiting their house for Christmas he walked downstairs and witnessed me in the living room rubbing my girlfriend Meg's belly and saying and he thought

00:50:00 - 00:50:07 | Speaker 3:

I thought, oh, my gosh, there's a big secret. There's a baby coming. Oh, I would have thought that, too. Yeah, so he immediately thought that, so he was telling me yesterday.

00:50:08 - 00:50:12 | Speaker 2:

Why were you rubbing your girlfriend Meg's belly if it wasn't for that?

00:50:12 - 00:50:36 | Speaker 3:

Well, this is a hysterical reason. We had just gotten back from finally having our Philly cheesesteaks that we have to have once a year when we go to Philly, and Megan commented how her belly was just giant foot-long sandwich in there. She ate the whole damn thing. It was massive. I mean, she ate more than I did. And I was saying, oh, look at your cute little baby cheesesteak. And I was rubbing her belly.

00:50:36 - 00:50:38 | Speaker 1:

I would have punched you right in the face.

00:50:38 - 00:51:42 | Speaker 3:

No, she pointed it out first. I would never do that on my own. Still, though. Yeah. But anyway, he saw this as he was walking downstairs, and he thought we were pregnant. And we were like, no, not having a baby. But I thought that was funny. And then I didn't even show you guys this picture. then we land in back in detroit and we stop at the italian market to buy a bunch of things because we were going to make homemade pasta for my girls for new year's day and we walk in the market and a listener comes over and goes i had to laugh i saw you here and i saw that sign i'm like what sign there's a big sign in cantori italian market says welcome megan's baby shower upstairs so So the listener saw us there and thought, oh, my gosh, I know a big family secret. Same funny story. So I had Megan lean over with her belly sticking out and took this picture. And so, yeah, there's no family secret. But I thought that would be a funny topic to bring up on the air. Who thought they knew a family secret but were wrong? Yeah.

00:51:42 - 00:52:01 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Or why did everybody think you were pregnant? Yeah. What was the thing that made everybody think that you were pregnant? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. 844-665-6548. What makes you think rubbing your girlfriend's belly after she just got done eating would be a good thing?

00:52:01 - 00:52:10 | Speaker 3:

Listen, I'm not a smart man. I've managed to be alive this long somehow. But, you know, people around me have to put up with my dumb sense of humor.

00:52:11 - 00:52:11 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh.

00:52:11 - 00:53:13 | Speaker 1:

I don't know if I told you guys this story. before Christmas, Wes and I took my kids and his kids to go to drive through that magic of lights that they had over at Pine Knob. Have you guys ever been to that? Yeah. By the way, it's really fun for like the little, little kids. And so we had kind of built it up. They knew they were going, but we said we had a surprise for them and we weren't going to unveil the surprise until that day. And the surprise was that we had rented a party bus to take us through the magic of lights. So the kids could like wear their pajamas and eat pizza and whatever. And we, and Wes and I didn't have to drive well Smith was convinced that he thought he knew what the surprise was again a party bus and so he kept saying I know what it is I know what it is I know what it is so that night the party bus pulls up into my driveway and we say surprise this is your surprise and he looks kind of bummed and he goes I thought you were gonna tell us that you were having a baby oh wow no oh my gosh party bus baby party baby you get the kids wait do your

00:53:13 - 00:53:19 | Speaker 2:

kids think that uh do they uh or i mean obviously smith does but do they think that you guys uh or

00:53:19 - 00:53:33 | Speaker 1:

that you might have another child um i i don't think they understand that it's not possible so they they think that it is possible but it's not possible because west has been has been snipped So it's not possible

00:53:33 - 00:53:40 | Speaker 2:

Do your kids anticipate at all That you might get married at all Or are they too young to even think of that

00:53:40 - 00:53:42 | Speaker 1:

Oh no We've talked about that

00:53:42 - 00:53:49 | Speaker 3:

I remember you telling us once They were planning a wedding for you That was a couple of years ago

00:53:49 - 00:54:06 | Speaker 1:

But yeah I mean we've talked about that before We've talked about that several times I mean I have to Not saying that I'm going to get married But I always will make comments or I try to make comments of, you know, isn't it so fun to have Mr. West around and baby steps.

00:54:06 - 00:54:46 | Speaker 2:

Can I go back on something here real quick? Because I, by the way, know for a fact, and I'm going to find the audio, but I know for a fact that Spike said at one time or another on the show that he was never getting married ever again. He never said ever again. He said that. Yes, he did. No, I didn't. And actually, yesterday I heard from our former producer, Ellen, who reiterated after knowing that we've talked about this on the show, saying, I know the audio is there. And she basically was guiding me to the direction of the conversation that we had on the air. And I will find it when I come back. But you just insinuated just a moment ago, if people heard this, that there might be a possibility of another little one.

00:54:47 - 00:54:47 | Speaker 3:

No.

00:54:48 - 00:54:49 | Speaker 2:

In what you said. What did I say?

00:54:50 - 00:54:52 | Speaker 3:

So you always read into things and hear what you want to hear.

00:54:52 - 00:55:14 | Speaker 2:

If you listen back to the podcast of this conversation today that will be on there, or if you're on the podcast right now, hit the rewind. the 15 second rewind like a couple of times and go to the beginning of this conversation when spike said something about you know not that it might not happen someday or whatever whatever the words that he said i can't remember exactly what they were but it did catch me off guard this is how

00:55:14 - 00:55:18 | Speaker 1:

you always confuse yourself and you hear what you want to hear i i'm telling you you go back listen

00:55:18 - 00:55:24 | Speaker 2:

to that thing that's the beauty of instant replay if this was espn i'd go to the telestrator i can

00:55:24 - 00:55:54 | Speaker 1:

tell you factually didn't say it because i also am snipped and you can excuse me hang on a second oh you get nervous there that's what happens review the play if you if oh i cannot have another baby i was snipped 10 years ago and i was tested recently it is physically impossible for me to have a baby i have no desire to have a baby yeah wait why were you tested to make sure that the vasectomy held and took place because I do not want another baby. Are there any other questions?

00:55:54 - 00:55:57 | Speaker 2:

Wait, so after 10 years, you got tested again?

00:55:57 - 00:55:57 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:55:58 - 00:55:59 | Speaker 2:

What? That's interesting.

00:55:59 - 00:56:01 | Speaker 1:

Remember the Dunkin' Donuts parking lot thing?

00:56:01 - 00:56:03 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yes. Yeah. Forgot about that.

00:56:03 - 00:56:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. There's no way I'm having another baby, nor do either of us want another baby. I know. You can hear what you want in these conversations instead of just listening to the words coming out of my mouth.

00:56:13 - 00:56:26 | Speaker 2:

I know a guy named John who lives in Bloomfield Hills. Not making this up at all. No. I know a guy named John who lives in Bloomfield Hills. And I'll tell you, if you want me to tell you where he lives, I'll tell you where he lives. He lives off of Losser.

00:56:26 - 00:56:26 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:56:27 - 00:56:36 | Speaker 2:

Who is a friend of a friend who got a reversal and got it done. Don't want to reverse. Mitch Hollander did it. Shelby. What's going on, Shelby? Oh, he's... Hi.

00:56:36 - 00:56:39 | Speaker 1:

Are you okay? I'm turning my mic off. Don't point out that I'm clearing my throat. They don't know.

00:56:39 - 00:56:47 | Speaker 2:

No, but that's what happens when you... See, your headphones. When you... If you were in a lie detector situation right now, they would say... Yeah. They would say, oh, the detector shows us.

00:56:47 - 00:56:49 | Speaker 1:

Or that it happens every morning at this time.

00:56:51 - 00:56:52 | Speaker 2:

Shelby, hi. How are you doing?

00:56:53 - 00:56:54 | Speaker 3:

Good. How are you?

00:56:54 - 00:56:57 | Speaker 2:

Good. What was the rumor that everybody was talking about?

00:56:58 - 00:57:45 | Speaker 3:

So for the new year, I posted a little recap of my year from last year saying how I was thankful and blessed and blah, blah, blah. We had a baby last year, and one of the pictures was my pregnancy announcement from a year ago. and my grandma went and told all my aunts and everybody that I was pregnant again so my dad called me and he was like are you know are you pregnant again you need to tell me something and I was like where like why are you asking me this and he said grandma told me so um I quickly just texted our family group chat and I was like I don't know where this is coming from but I am not pregnant again and my grandma's like I saw you post the picture and so I had to explain Oh, poor grandma.

00:57:46 - 00:57:50 | Speaker 4:

She was just confused and excited. Yeah.

00:57:51 - 00:58:10 | Speaker 2:

Sometimes social media posts will get me on with friends of mine who I think potentially are, you know, having babies based on just the, you know, I hate to say this, but there's times where you see certain friends and you're like, is she pregnant? Like, not thinking that they're.

00:58:10 - 00:58:11 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no, no. She's just loaded.

00:58:12 - 00:58:31 | Speaker 2:

But then they also will do, like, the different filters on their stories. And this happened with friends just recently. And I said, Chelsea, I go, hey, is so-and-so pregnant? And she said, I don't know. And then she looked and she goes, oh, it kind of looks like it could be because the filter kind of looked like it could have been of a pregnancy announcement. What's up, Marissa?

00:58:33 - 00:58:40 | Speaker 4:

Hey, I just wanted to add that I'm concerned that he got checked in a Dunkin' Donuts parking lot.

00:58:41 - 00:58:42 | Speaker 2:

Did you not hear that conversation?

00:58:44 - 00:58:50 | Speaker 4:

I mean, it felt like there was context missing. He just said, oh, yeah, after 10 years, I got checked in the Dunkin' Donuts parking lot.

00:58:50 - 00:59:00 | Speaker 2:

No, so to recap that one, he had to actually administer the sample. And he said he did it in a Dunkin' Donuts parking lot.

00:59:00 - 00:59:07 | Speaker 1:

Like, I didn't want to go all the way home and all the way back. And I chose a bad location to...

00:59:07 - 00:59:08 | Unknown:

Oh, okay.

00:59:08 - 00:59:10 | Speaker 4:

I mean, whatever works for you.

00:59:11 - 00:59:19 | Speaker 2:

What do you think, Marissa? Do you think that there might be a baby in the future there of Mr. Spike?

00:59:20 - 00:59:24 | Speaker 4:

I mean, when I thought that he was getting checked at Dunkin' Donuts, I thought that could be a possibility.

00:59:25 - 00:59:33 | Speaker 1:

No, my girlfriend has a six-year-old, and that reaffirms my belief that I think I'm exhausted and done with babies after that.

00:59:34 - 00:59:40 | Speaker 2:

I think that you would be great, though. I could never do another child. No, I'm done.

00:59:40 - 00:59:47 | Speaker 1:

Is she done with kids? Yeah. You say you're done. Yeah, she's done as well. She always only wanted one.

00:59:47 - 00:59:50 | Speaker 2:

Really? Mm-hmm. So it's always been just to have one child?

00:59:50 - 00:59:51 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I know that.

00:59:52 - 00:59:57 | Speaker 2:

God, you'd make another beautiful baby, though, wouldn't you? Mm-hmm. Yeah.

00:59:57 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 1:

I love that Mike's like, mm-hmm, yep, yeah. Yeah.

00:59:59 - 01:00:00 | Speaker 2:

Mike and I.

01:00:00 - 01:00:00 | Speaker 5:

Have them all for us.

01:00:03 - 01:00:09 | Speaker 4:

Who would you guys on the show want to see have another baby? Shannon or Spike?

01:00:09 - 01:00:09 | Speaker 2:

Megan.

01:00:10 - 01:00:11 | Speaker 4:

No, Megan.

01:00:12 - 01:00:15 | Speaker 5:

You're going to put that hoodoo voodoo on her.

01:00:15 - 01:00:19 | Speaker 6:

Literally, if you all could have heard, my microphone was off and I'm going to do it.

01:00:20 - 01:00:23 | Speaker 5:

She breaks out in hives when she hears a baby in the restaurant.

01:00:23 - 01:00:25 | Speaker 6:

Is it getting hot in here or is it just me?

01:00:25 - 01:00:33 | Speaker 4:

We said another baby, another. Like, Megan did not have it. No, I know, I know. Megan had her first baby in a Dunkin' Donuts parking lot.

01:00:34 - 01:00:36 | Speaker 6:

How dare you? I have dogs.

01:00:36 - 01:00:38 | Speaker 4:

And also, what were you going to say, Megan? What were you going to say?

01:00:38 - 01:00:46 | Speaker 6:

Just, how dare you? How dare you? Yeah, don't put that out there. Now I'm stressed. Oh, God. Can I get a vasectomy check?

01:00:48 - 01:00:51 | Speaker 4:

I would love, honestly, I would love to see Shannon have another baby.

01:00:52 - 01:01:05 | Speaker 2:

You know, I, I, I think you make beautiful babies. I would never have been opposed to it, but Wes is, like I said, he's not getting his vasectomy reversed. And I have two baby nieces, and they're awesome to be around.

01:01:05 - 01:01:07 | Speaker 5:

Well, you can hand them back when they have it.

01:01:07 - 01:01:08 | Speaker 2:

Because I look at this.

01:01:08 - 01:01:30 | Speaker 4:

I look at this. How many second—okay, so here's—this is a question for our listeners. How many second marriages or third marriages or whatever have more children? Like, that people will do this? Because you are still young enough to have a baby, right? Sure. I mean, I think you are. Sure. And your kids are still young enough that they could have siblings.

01:01:30 - 01:01:31 | Speaker 2:

Uh-huh. Yeah, absolutely.

01:01:32 - 01:01:50 | Speaker 4:

Spike, on the other hand, I don't know, Spike. I want to see you bringing the – if you had a baby right now, when they're like 15 or 16 years old, I would like to see you with a walker going into a school. That would be interesting. A walker? How old do you think I am? Well, it would be 16 years from now seeing you. Okay. You'd be chasing after him on a little league field.

01:01:50 - 01:01:52 | Speaker 5:

66, yeah.

01:01:52 - 01:02:03 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Walking around. Although there are guys that you see that will do this, where there are guys that are like in their 50s that will have a kid, and you're like, are you kidding me? Like when that kid goes off to college.

01:02:03 - 01:02:09 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, Letterman was in his 70s, I think, or 60s when he had the baby. George Clooney?

01:02:09 - 01:02:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but George Clooney doesn't age. And if he does, it just gets better. But he's in his 60s, and he has like five-year-olds. Yeah.

01:02:15 - 01:02:19 | Speaker 5:

Way older than me. He's not making the Walker comment about George Clooney.

01:02:19 - 01:02:32 | Speaker 4:

George Clooney is still, though. The kid's going to go, he's going to be moving that kid into college. You imagine he goes off to Michigan State, taking his kid off to Michigan State, and he has to carry in boxes of crap at the age that he's going to be. I'm sure he's got people for that.

01:02:32 - 01:02:42 | Speaker 5:

George Clooney is in better shape than you and I put together. Yeah, I don't think that would be the hard part. I think George Clooney right now with a five-year-old is the hard part, because he's chasing around a five-year-old at whatever age. Two. They have twins. Yeah.

01:02:42 - 01:02:43 | Speaker 4:

Oh, really?

01:02:43 - 01:02:43 | Speaker 5:

Ooh.

01:02:44 - 01:03:02 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. They hire people to chase around, too. The hardest part for me is I think about getting on the floor and playing with kids. And have you ever seen me trying to get up off the floor when I'm on the floor? It's a nasty situation. It's a very difficult thing. I've got to say, Chelsea, come on over here and help me out. All right. It's Mojo in the Morning Show.

01:03:02 - 01:03:14 | Speaker 3:

One of these days, Karma's going to catch up to Spike for all his phone scams. But laugh at it anyway. It's this morning at 7.50 on Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:03:15 - 01:03:21 | Speaker 4:

All right. Look at what's going on. with the Dirty on the 30. What's trending right now? Well, I've got some updates on Bill's safety.

01:03:22 - 01:03:33 | Speaker 2:

Damar Hamlin, he remains in the ICU at UC Medical Center on a ventilator. As doctors work really hard to get him breathing on his own, his uncle, Dorian Glenn, was talking to CNN late last night.

01:03:34 - 01:03:59 | Speaker 1:

We're watching it on TV, and his little brother was there with us. And when he's seen his brother drop like that, and when I tell you I've never seen him cry or scream like that, like we were trying to calm him down like yo it's okay you know he'll gonna get back up he'll be back in the game you know we'll do the woo next thing you know it's 10 minutes later they're doing chest compressions it's a half hour later they still not playing yet i'm like yo what's going on what's wrong with my nephew and then like when i say like now we were all in the room crying

01:03:59 - 01:05:00 | Speaker 2:

yeah he did say that doctors had to resuscitate him or excuse me that uh hamlin was resuscitated not once but twice also he has been flipped over on his stomach according to doctors in the hospital to help with some blood that is on his lungs or in his lungs at the moment. Donations from NFL players and fans are pouring in for Hamlin's Toy Drive. Again, it was created in 2020, had an initial goal to raise $2,500. It has since passed $5.5 million in donations as of late last night. One of the biggest donations was for $10,000, that one coming from Tom Brady, who also shared a public message of support to Hamlin. And I want to play this for you as well. since we mentioned it in Last Hour's Dirty, ESPN's Dan Orlofsky holding commentary about Hamlin yesterday to pray. And he said, everybody's saying that Hamlin is in their thoughts and prayers, but what we really, truly need to do is actually pray. Maybe this is not the right thing.

01:05:00 - 01:05:23 | Speaker 1:

thing to do, but I want to, it's just on my heart that I want to pray for DeMar Hamlin right now. I'm going to do it out loud. I'm going to close my eyes. I'm going to bow my head and I'm just going to pray for him. God, we come to you in these moments that we don't understand, that are hard because we believe that your God and coming to you and praying to you has impact. And everybody

01:05:23 - 01:05:28 | Speaker 3:

who was seated at the desk, by the way, bowed their heads with him. And we want answers, but

01:05:28 - 01:05:35 | Speaker 1:

some things are unanswerable we just want to pray i thought for sure that i would see social media

01:05:35 - 01:06:23 | Speaker 8:

rip that apart because you know people nowadays just nobody wants to be happy anymore or nobody wants to to you know everybody's offended by everything but yeah and honestly i i thought it was really nice even people who say listen i'm not a prayerful person and i'm not a you know a person that uh that you know believes and stuff and they were like but i thought that that was a great moment it was a beautiful moment yeah because i you see some so many times on on sports all these guys do is rip on other on players and talk about how bad things are and everything's so negative all the time and you see these guys all coming together in a moment like this and trying to pull together to uh you know to hope that this guy just is able to live that's the biggest thing being resuscitated now twice is what his uncle said yesterday uh last hour on a ventilator so

01:06:23 - 01:07:06 | Speaker 3:

So they're just, the goal right now is to have him breathing on his own. Yeah. Wow. An update on somebody else who's in pretty bad shape, and that's Avenger star Jeremy Renner. He shared a selfie from his hospital bed. I don't know if you guys saw this on Instagram, and he wrote in the caption, Thank you all for your kind words. I'm too messed up now to type, but I send love to you all. At a press conference yesterday, the sheriff disclosed details of how the snowplow accident that critically injured Jeremy happened. happened and he said jeremy was hit while trying to free his vehicle which was being driven by a family member from a bunch of snow near his tahoe area home it started to roll this this plow cat the snow cat and that's when jeremy was run over he was trying to get into the driver's seat to

01:07:06 - 01:07:22 | Speaker 2:

stop this thing from rolling at this point in the investigation we do not believe mr renner was impaired at all and we believe this is a tragic accident the washoe county sheriff's office is in possession of this piston bully and we are analyzing it to rule out any potential mechanical

01:07:22 - 01:07:37 | Speaker 8:

failure of why it started to roll should a lay person use a vehicle like that though like i'm looking at the you know some people have like tractors like that cut their lawns that with a little plow on the front of it that thing was like something that you'd see plow like a huge

01:07:37 - 01:07:47 | Speaker 5:

why does your dad have one of those oh if there is a toy he will buy it all right so yes yes tell

01:07:47 - 01:07:54 | Speaker 8:

Tell them, be careful with this stuff. These people that just, you know, they have nine to five jobs and they normally don't work equipment like that.

01:07:54 - 01:08:01 | Speaker 3:

It's terrifying. And lastly, I hate ending on tragedy, but this is a big story today. The co-founder of Dave & Buster's has died in an apparent suicide.

01:08:01 - 01:08:02 | Speaker 4:

Dave or Buster?

01:08:02 - 01:08:21 | Speaker 3:

Buster. 72-year-old James Coley, a.k.a. Buster, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Dallas on Monday. Yeah, police found him at his home. He was rushed to an area hospital where he died. His daughter told the local police station that her dad hadn't been the same after suffering from a stroke recently. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on MojoInTheMorning.com

01:09:38 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 8:

you too be careful if you're driving around and there's a lot of fog out there, be careful. A lot of schools, by the way, just got some alerts from some schools that just said that they're doing late starts on schools because they want to wait until the fog all, you know, blows over. They're saying that now in – is it as foggy in Grand Rapids and Toledo as it is in the Detroit area right now or no?

01:09:59 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 6:

I don't –

01:10:00 - 01:10:04 | Speaker 3:

think so no it's a little foggy yeah it's a little foggy this morning is it it's really bad in the

01:10:04 - 01:10:09 | Speaker 2:

detroit area they're saying that it's not going to uh burn off until like one o'clock in the

01:10:09 - 01:10:18 | Speaker 1:

afternoon yeah that's a long time fog advisory until then oh yeah when you guys came i can't really see outside was it foggy when you guys came in couldn't see more than 25 feet ahead of

01:10:18 - 01:11:08 | Speaker 2:

the car yeah here's here's the uh the gist of this that uh two hour delays for many detroit area schools so check uh that your schools possibly are going to have a little bit of a delay to start today for some of the schools that are going back um today for their very first day of school all right it is the mojo in the morning show we were talking about who's going to have a baby on the show and who who will have it first well we do know this there is somebody that's going to be having a baby on the show and that is mike he made the announcement towards the uh end of of this past year that he and ali are having a baby that they're pregnant right now with number three i even checked in with you to see how's the pregnancy been for ali um it's uh it's a lot

01:11:08 - 01:11:23 | Speaker 3:

harder than the first we were she was blessed we were blessed to have i don't know how you're supposed to say that to have uh an easier pregnancy on the first two uh it's a little harder uh she's she was the first trimester she was pretty sick this one she's very very tired um

01:11:23 - 01:11:29 | Speaker 2:

uh and she's also got she's also got uh kids that she's running around after and she's working and

01:11:29 - 01:11:34 | Speaker 4:

everything yeah yeah yeah yeah so she's craving anything in particular oh my i had to go in the

01:11:34 - 01:11:45 | Speaker 3:

middle of that snowstorm i had to go to uh meyers because she wanted mayonnaise oh really yeah we don't have mayo now we don't have she doesn't even like mayo but she wanted just a mayonnaise

01:11:45 - 01:12:04 | Speaker 2:

sandwich and so i had to go to the store that's funny really is it may like mayonnaise or is it like the like that miracle yeah real mayonnaise like like hellman's i love that i feel like i need that too um do you guys know what the sex of the baby is have you guys figured that out or

01:12:04 - 01:13:05 | Speaker 3:

you didn't you say you were waiting um so yeah that's the idea is we're we have a boy and a girl so we decided that we're just gonna wait till the baby's born and not find out the gender But she has an appointment on Friday that I can't make it to. And we kind of wanted our daughter to go to it, too. So she's kind of a part of this all. And so she's going just for the ultrasound just to check on things. And she tells me that she's not going to find out the sex of the baby. But we've also been struggling with names. Like, I can't figure out what no name seems to fit. And I think it was easier when we knew what the gender of the baby was. And then you got to buy the stuff and like the clothes and the other stuff that you're just kind of kind of stuck right now, not being able to get any of those things or figure out a name until we know the gender. And I have a sneaky suspicion that she's going to go to this and she's going to find it out and not tell me the gender of the baby. Well, her and Seth will know then. Yes.

01:13:05 - 01:13:07 | Speaker 4:

You think Seth could keep that a secret?

01:13:09 - 01:13:11 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I don't think so.

01:13:11 - 01:13:18 | Speaker 5:

I'm always surprised how many couples, like, somebody will go find out and not tell the other person. Because I don't know how you keep that secret once it's there.

01:13:19 - 01:13:33 | Speaker 3:

I see. And I think she knew with Milo, too. Because if we go back to the gender reveal, we're not doing that this year, but if we go back to the gender reveal, she wore blue for it. And I was convinced she knew then. Uh-huh. I think she's going to find out, and she's just not going to tell me.

01:13:33 - 01:13:37 | Speaker 4:

Who didn't want to find out this time? Was that both of you guys, or were you pulling for it harder?

01:13:37 - 01:13:54 | Speaker 3:

No, it was both of us. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I think we've hit a point, though, of, like, no name. Like, we've even started using a baby app that tells you, like, baby names. So it generates a bunch of baby names based on your – it's like Tinder, but for baby names. And so we're both – What a great idea.

01:13:54 - 01:13:56 | Speaker 4:

That is a great idea.

01:13:56 - 01:14:01 | Speaker 3:

We're both connected to this app, and then we swipe left or right if we like the name, and we can't get any of them to match.

01:14:01 - 01:14:06 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I hope she doesn't find out because it is so fun to be surprised. It really is.

01:14:06 - 01:14:26 | Speaker 2:

Are there any listeners that have found out and didn't tell their husband or baby daddy that they knew the sex of the baby, that they kind of kept that? 844 Mojo Live. I've always been under the belief that women always find out, and they just don't tell their guy, and then they keep it sacred.

01:14:26 - 01:14:27 | Speaker 4:

I really never did.

01:14:27 - 01:14:34 | Speaker 5:

Third shift's heading home. Maybe you can call if you work at a hospital and tell us if you ever witnessed a fight over people finding out, and they weren't supposed to find out.

01:14:34 - 01:14:38 | Speaker 3:

Did you guys all find out? For your kids? No. We did. Yeah.

01:14:39 - 01:14:56 | Speaker 1:

I could never not find out. The people who say that they didn't find out and they waited until the birth, I think you guys are crazy. Like, I don't have it in me to not know what's going. Maybe it's because I'm so, like, anal about everything, but I would have to know.

01:14:56 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 5:

Well, it made it easier to decorate and prep for the baby to come.

01:15:00 - 01:15:03 | Speaker 2:

You're also the person that will sneak and look at what your gifts are before Christmas.

01:15:03 - 01:15:06 | Speaker 4:

Oh, 100%. 100%.

01:15:06 - 01:16:03 | Speaker 2:

I, by the way, I love the, there's a couple of other funny things that Mike said too, that app is great. You know, it's kind of like Tinder, but I wonder how many people have gone to Tinder to find a name. Like, because isn't it funny when you're pregnant, you'll look at names of everything. You'll be reading something online. You're so aware. Yeah. You see names, like somebody calls out a name at a Starbucks for a coffee order, you know, And you're like, oh, okay, hold on a second. And so you kind of look at all those different names. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, text 95500586, says, I work for a doctor, and we do ultrasounds, and you will be surprised how many women will say, can I find out the sex, but do not tell my husband on the next visit. Yeah, I knew it. So, Mike, you better be. But wait, did you say that Cecily's going on the office visit, the doctor visit?

01:16:03 - 01:16:15 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but they don't let her go into the, they don't let kids go into that ultrasound room. They don't? No. Oh, that stinks. Yeah, so she'll record, I think she's going to record a video, but she gets to be there. You know what I mean? I think that was the. Oh, they should just let her in.

01:16:15 - 01:16:23 | Speaker 2:

Because I was going to say, do you think, would you be bummed if two women in your life kept that secret from you? Ash, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning.

01:16:24 - 01:16:31 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Hi, Mojo in the morning. How are you guys doing? Good morning. Love your accent. I'm from England.

01:16:32 - 01:16:34 | Speaker 2:

Nice to have you on the show. What are you calling him?

01:16:35 - 01:17:12 | Speaker 3:

Well, when I had my second son, I found out I was having a baby, a little boy. And it was fun keeping it from my husband and teasing him and stuff like that. So we had a bit of a laugh at that time. But I'd like to tell you something a little bit more interesting why I found out. My mom, who was dying at the time Told me I was having a little boy So she said I'm having a little boy And she told me I was pregnant Really? Wow After I was here at the hospital I did a pregnancy test And I found out I was pregnant And then I had a little boy Oh my goodness

01:17:12 - 01:17:16 | Speaker 1:

Now, did your mom always have Like this ability?

01:17:17 - 01:17:18 | Unknown:

She did

01:17:18 - 01:17:48 | Speaker 3:

But she didn't flaunt it much You know, especially when she knew Deaths were happening She always told me afterwards that, hey, I knew that was going to happen or, you know. But she was a bit of a matchmaker, too. So she did a lot of matchmaking in our community. And she was very spiritual. She meditated every day. So I think she had the ability, but she didn't use it much because she was just a bit aware of what the community would sort of say. That is fascinating. Ridicule her or whatever, you know. So, yeah.

01:17:48 - 01:17:49 | Speaker 2:

Thank you, Ash.

01:17:50 - 01:17:50 | Speaker 3:

You're welcome.

01:17:50 - 01:18:00 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for the call. You, too. molly hi it's mojo in the morning hi how are you good you found out accidentally yeah i found out

01:18:00 - 01:18:24 | Speaker 5:

accidentally because i was checking to see if the results had come in because i was doing a gender reveal and i just wanted to know if the results were in but i wasn't supposed to look at them so i was looking at them and i seen that it was a boy um and i wanted a girl so i'm kind of glad And I found out earlier, but I knew his dad, he really wanted a boy. So I kept it from him for a couple of weeks until the gender reveal.

01:18:25 - 01:18:25 | Speaker 2:

Oh, wow.

01:18:25 - 01:18:27 | Speaker 5:

And when he found out, he cried.

01:18:28 - 01:18:33 | Speaker 2:

But was everybody upset, though, that you knew ahead of time? Or did you not tell them that you knew?

01:18:34 - 01:18:43 | Speaker 5:

I, for the most part, didn't tell people. I told my mom because my mom wanted to know when she found out I knew. But everybody else, I pretty much kept it a secret.

01:18:44 - 01:18:45 | Speaker 2:

Seems like they keep secrets.

01:18:46 - 01:18:50 | Speaker 5:

Right. But the dad, he knew I knew, and he thought it was a girl.

01:18:51 - 01:18:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh.

01:18:52 - 01:18:52 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:18:53 - 01:18:56 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for the call. Mallory, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning.

01:18:57 - 01:19:53 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. So when I was pregnant, I found out in, like, October, and we were going Black Friday shopping. And I was determined to find out. And my family is huge advocates for not finding out. So my family paid me off with buying my stuff when we went shopping, buying me a crock pot and a vacuum to bribe me not to find out what I was having. And so I got a crock pot and a vacuum, and I did not find out what we were having until he was born. And we're in the room. We had a C-section, and we're in the room, and three minutes goes by, and my husband said, would you just tell us what it is and they said oh my gosh we forgot nobody does that anymore wow so then you know it took them a while to tell us the gender of our baby at the time because they said everybody finds out now and they just forgot that we didn't oh yeah um katie what's up

01:19:53 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 2:

katie can tell us by the way for you mike how you can spot the sex of the baby you better be careful if you look at your

01:20:00 - 01:20:31 | Speaker 1:

ultrasound picture what's up katie yeah um hi i'm in your voices guys by the way yes i'm in the starbucks drive-thru they're probably going to look at me like i'm crazy as i tell the story um so i'm oldest of four three girls the baby's a boy my mom never found out what any of the sexes were until the youngest which was a boy because she said it was very easy to spot the penis after having three girls.

01:20:32 - 01:20:32 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:20:33 - 01:20:34 | Speaker 1:

I wouldn't really know.

01:20:34 - 01:20:39 | Speaker 4:

When you get these later appointments, sometimes it's just glaringly obvious. Aren't there a lot of

01:20:39 - 01:20:56 | Speaker 2:

false boy things, though? Because I talked to somebody that works and does ultrasounds, and they said that a lot of times people will just assume that's a penis or think like that, and they say it's not. There's something else on there.

01:20:57 - 01:21:12 | Speaker 1:

No, she said it was clear as day. Really? It was clear as day. That lucky little kid. Right. It was a boy. And she held the secret. She held the secret. She didn't tell any of us or, you know.

01:21:12 - 01:22:04 | Speaker 2:

Now that kid's the most popular kid in his class. Well, thank you. That's gross. I know. I'm just kidding. Thank you for the call. We appreciate it. Thank you. Penises are gross, too. All penises are gross, even little ones. All right. It is Mojo in the Morning. There's a restaurant chain that we're not going to name, but it's an ice cream shop where you pick out a flavor, your favorite flavor, and then you can mix it with candy and toppings, and they do the frozen granite stone. I think people are going to know what this is. um sean is the manager and he was asked to help out uh with the their uh their locations some some of the other locations uh having issues trying to get staffed and spike you're gonna

01:22:04 - 01:22:14 | Speaker 4:

do a phone scam on uh yeah this boss is out of town so we're gonna get him who's supposed to be kind of looking over the story while the other boss is out of town i like how we don't name the

01:22:14 - 01:22:24 | Speaker 2:

the actual store, we kind of just insinuate what it is. You'll figure it out. The name that you're going to put on this phone scam on the podcast basically has the name.

01:23:16 - 01:23:18 | Speaker 5:

I'm afraid I have no idea what you're saying.

01:23:18 - 01:23:24 | Speaker 3:

I mean, his cockatoo. Larry put his p*** on the granite, and now his snowballs got instantly stuck to the countertop.

01:23:25 - 01:23:26 | Speaker 5:

What are you talking about?

01:23:27 - 01:24:18 | Speaker 3:

Well, so I was just chilling like a villain, cleaning up the front area, and I hear this scream. And I look over at the dummy with his snossage out, and hold on a second. There's a customer. Hang on. Okay. Thank you, ma'am. 01:25:00 - 01:26:05 | Speaker 2:

Can you come over and take care of it? I mean, I feel like I would have to. Please do not go anywhere. Okay, but when you come over, I just want to warn you, you're going to see his ding-a-ling right there on the countertop. Put a rag over it. Oh, my God. I don't even want to get near his hairy canary. I'm going to tell him to do it. Oh, my gosh. All right, I'm going to notify all the customers that were closed. I'm going to put a sign on the door. It says, frozen penis, sorry, can't open. No, no, no, no, no, no. Just no, no, no. Lock the door. Right. And then, Sean, can you come handle this and take care of it? I'm in the other store. Oh, and also, Sean, he wanted me to tell you that you've just been the victim of a phone scam. This is the Mojo in the Morning Show. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my goodness. I almost had a heart attack. I really thought somebody was going to jail. We were told that you had to handle both stores while the other manager was out of town. Wow. we will we will scam you

01:26:05 - 01:29:04 | Speaker 1:

you're home with the phone scams the world famous this is mojo in the morning yeah yeah yeah yeah uh welcome to the mojo in the morning show uh coming up here in just a few moments some good topics to get into on the way in just a couple of minutes we talked uh yesterday about the gifts that parents regret well shannon another gift that you didn't mention yesterday not the uh the drum set but another gift has cause for some talk in your house and that is the live animal gift is that right kind of sort of i'll have to explain yes all right talking about that within the next like 10 minutes um Megan with the comment that was made by a guy yesterday to Megan totally set her off and I think it would set off 99.9% of women actually this is make it 100% of women say I don't know who it wouldn't set off uh we'll talk about that before 8 30 also um uh KP our producer is going to come in studio she wants to talk about the instigator the instagram instigator error facebook instigator that person that is uh messing with her mom and spike with the dumbest holiday argument that you got into that's all on the way in just a little bit here on the mojo in the morning show stick around we've got that plus we've got more taylor swift tickets we're going to pay your bills we'll give you an opportunity to win with that pay your bills came back yesterday a chance to win $1,000 13 times a day. Just listen starting at 9, 10 every weekday morning and then throughout the day at 10 after the hour thereafter, we will give out a word that can help you win $1,000 to pay your bills, and those bills are big with the holidays. Even though they're saying that people spent less this holiday season, I didn't see that because I still felt like people were out there spending. I think there's a lot of people that right now are regretting that spending, And you know what? We'll help you with that coming up here in just a little bit. All right. It is Mojo in the morning. The holidays bring upon, like, nice gifts, and you like to show them off. Well, my friend was showing off the gift that he bought for his girlfriend. So this guy is a younger guy. He's a friend. He's a friend through my son. He bought his girlfriend a brand-new Shinola watch. for Christmas. And he was very, very proud of the expense that he paid on this gift

01:29:04 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 1:

because he kept doing the whole thing of, yeah, here, here, show your watch, show your watch. And then he would do that, and then he'd whisper in my ear, I paid $630 for that thing. You know, one of those type of things. And I'm like, oh, that's great. Oh, that's wonderful. Oh, great. So he kept doing the whole thing like, here, no, no, show the watch, how great it is. So I, of course, asked the question. I said, Hey, what time is it? Cause I wanted to see if, you know, she can just like kind of show off her watch by showing the time she grabs her phone and looks at her phone and goes, Oh, it's 1234. And I go, no, no, no. You got the watch. And she goes, well, and kind of like looking at her at her watch. And I'm like, what? She doesn't know how to tell the time by looking at the hands, unless it has the numbers on it, and this thing has the Roman numeral numbers on it.

01:30:00 - 01:30:00 | Speaker 3:

She doesn't know.

01:30:01 - 01:30:17 | Speaker 4:

So she doesn't know how to tell time. Now, let me just say this to you. She's in her, I think she's in her 20s. I don't think that she's yet 30. Shouldn't everybody over the age of five know how to tell time? Don't you learn that in school?

01:30:17 - 01:30:24 | Speaker 2:

No, and we also didn't learn how to use ham radios. Like, things become outdated. Oh, come on. Let's not talk about a ham radio.

01:30:24 - 01:30:28 | Speaker 6:

You do still learn time. I know this because Smith learned it last year.

01:30:28 - 01:30:49 | Speaker 2:

Okay, cool. But I'm with her. Fam, I know what Roman numerals are. I rush Greek. I know most of the alphabet and the Greek alphabet. But it takes me a second, right? Like, I got to think about, I got to add up the X's, the I's, the V's, subtract. No, Roman numerals are screwy. I agree with you there. It's literally going to take me longer to read a clock that I know how to read

01:30:49 - 01:30:58 | Speaker 6:

than it would be to just look at my phone. That's my question. Are we sure she really didn't know how to tell time and she was just not using her phone at convenience? Because that's what we normally do.

01:30:58 - 01:31:16 | Speaker 4:

So, here's the thing. I'm not going to jump to conclusions, but I'm going to tell you the full story. Okay. Sounds like you're jumping. No, the full story is, and by the way, I don't think it had Roman numerals. I think it actually had numbers on there, but the problem is it was the little hand. I'm going to teach you how to tell time right now, Megan.

01:31:16 - 01:31:18 | Speaker 2:

I know how to tell time.

01:31:18 - 01:31:37 | Speaker 4:

The little hand and the big hand were kind of close to each other because the little hand was right around the 12, and the big hand was just a little after 12 so it was kind of like okay hold on what is the time oh i'll just look at my watch or my my phone it's 1204 or whatever it is you know on the phone

01:31:37 - 01:31:42 | Speaker 2:

word problems on proficiency tests like fam you lost me in the first half i got bored what

01:31:42 - 01:31:51 | Speaker 4:

i did i here's here's the thing though in that in that case he bought the wrong watch he should have just bought her like an apple watch and she could have the digital on there because it's an

01:31:51 - 01:31:57 | Speaker 2:

accessory you want to look fancy and nice but i don't need to actually use it that is very true

01:31:57 - 01:32:16 | Speaker 6:

okay so i have a watch that i usually wear every day i say that and i'm not wearing it today i'm pretty sure it hasn't worked since like july like i haven't i haven't changed the battery and it needs to to have a battery change but i just like it because it's cute so it's interesting

01:32:16 - 01:32:31 | Speaker 4:

because I have a fear, not a fear, but I guess it's kind of like I'm OCD about if I put a watch on and I haven't worn it in a while and it stops, I have to reset it even if it has the date on there because I feel awkward, weird if I don't have that.

01:32:31 - 01:32:33 | Speaker 6:

I think mine still says like July 1st.

01:32:33 - 01:32:33 | Speaker 4:

Really?

01:32:36 - 01:32:59 | Speaker 5:

Don't look close. I'm with you though. We got our daughter a JoJo Siwa watch, which if you want to get her that, you can get her that too. Jo, if you want to get her JoJo Siwa. It's very easy to read the time on it, But it was driving me nuts. It was driving me nuts because she didn't want to set any of it. She just wanted it lit up, and it's got JoJo Siwa on it. She didn't want to set the time. She didn't want to set the date, and it drove me absolutely nuts. Hey, Marlene, what's going on?

01:33:00 - 01:33:08 | Speaker 1:

You know, first, good morning, boo. Good morning. I have to address you correctly.

01:33:08 - 01:33:27 | Speaker 4:

It's funny because I always forget who you are and when you call, and then when I hear your voice, I know who you are. But there has been times where, like, my sister Pat has said, why is that listener talking to you like you guys should actually be dating? And then my wife has actually made comments about you before with the whole boo thing. But I've never had.

01:33:27 - 01:33:34 | Speaker 1:

Oh, everybody that's cool is boo. You know, my kids are boo. My residents are boo. It's nothing personal.

01:33:34 - 01:33:37 | Speaker 4:

Why don't we call you Misfit Boo? Why don't we do that?

01:33:37 - 01:33:38 | Speaker 1:

You call me whatever you like.

01:33:38 - 01:33:39 | Speaker 4:

All right. Let's make sure.

01:33:40 - 01:34:16 | Speaker 1:

You can let your wife know you're a little too light-skinned for me. She's okay. all right so um we they don't teach the kids this i had to teach a nurse who passes pills and she's educated she's very smart nurse how to write a check they don't teach them how to write checks they don't teach them how to read the class and if they do they they just touch it minimal and it's with the numbers it's not with the roman numbers you're saying they being in schools they're not doing this anymore they're not no i had to teach my my 15 he's 15 now but i had to teach him

01:34:16 - 01:34:35 | Speaker 3:

cursive because they don't teach that in school anymore i still have one bill that they only take check or money order and i'm like oh how archaic i have to like every month i have to think where's my checkbook for this one stupid check that and then i got to find a stamp and an envelope and it's so it's such a pain in the butt in the digital world there's a difference between

01:34:35 - 01:34:43 | Speaker 1:

At work, she has to get a money order every month to pay her rent because she doesn't know how to write a check for her housing place.

01:34:45 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 4:

Here's the interesting thing. People learn how tying shoes, telling time, the alphabet, adding, subtracting, stuff like that. I'm shocked that there are people that don't know how to do it.

01:35:00 - 01:35:07 | Speaker 5:

And do you know for my son's and my daughter's math classes, they're allowed to do all their work with a calculator?

01:35:08 - 01:35:15 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I know. These kids nowadays got so much to eat. I love the calculator. But only dark-skinned calculators.

01:35:16 - 01:35:26 | Speaker 1:

Well, they're bigger. They have more buttons. Yeah, that makes sense, though, because everybody has a computer in their pocket. There's no reason why we're all going to have to rely on it.

01:35:27 - 01:35:29 | Speaker 5:

It's on the school supply list.

01:35:29 - 01:35:34 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and they have it so much easier now because every book is on tape. You know what I mean? So thank you for the call, Boo.

01:35:35 - 01:35:37 | Speaker 5:

You guys have a great day. You too. Talk to you later, Boo.

01:35:38 - 01:35:41 | Speaker 2:

All right. Going to Emily now on line number four.

01:35:41 - 01:35:41 | Speaker 5:

Hi, guys. Good morning.

01:35:42 - 01:35:43 | Speaker 2:

Hi. Hi, Emily.

01:35:43 - 01:36:04 | Speaker 5:

So I'm 24, and I don't know how to read the clock, like how you were saying, if it's Roman numerals or if it's the numbers. It takes me probably like five minutes to figure out what time it is. and I also don't know how to read cursive. I learned it once in fifth grade, never used it since. Wow, yeah.

01:36:04 - 01:36:08 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so if somebody writes in cursive, it's difficult for you to read?

01:36:09 - 01:36:19 | Speaker 5:

Yep, don't know what they're saying. I know what the E's look like and the M's look like because they're, you know, it's in my name, but if it's like full sentences, I have no idea.

01:36:19 - 01:36:24 | Speaker 2:

What do you do? Because I wonder if this will hamper you from your job.

01:36:25 - 01:36:26 | Speaker 5:

Your job uses cursive.

01:36:27 - 01:36:29 | Speaker 2:

People write notes all the time.

01:36:30 - 01:36:34 | Speaker 5:

When was the last time you got a handwritten note from somebody?

01:36:35 - 01:36:36 | Speaker 2:

Over the holidays.

01:36:37 - 01:36:40 | Speaker 5:

Okay, and before that. Especially at your job.

01:36:41 - 01:36:41 | Speaker 2:

I don't know.

01:36:42 - 01:36:47 | Speaker 1:

Exactly! Do they teach cursive, by the way? Lucy, I learned in second grade.

01:36:47 - 01:36:49 | Speaker 4:

Lucy's in third grade and hasn't learned it yet.

01:36:49 - 01:36:52 | Speaker 3:

I write cursive and I write notes to everybody.

01:36:52 - 01:37:00 | Speaker 5:

Did you learn it in school, KP? I did. Yeah, I did. In sixth grade, I visibly remember it because I'm dyslexic and it was hard for me anyway.

01:37:00 - 01:37:01 | Speaker 2:

Okay, well, there you go.

01:37:01 - 01:37:04 | Speaker 5:

And then I never used it once after.

01:37:05 - 01:37:26 | Speaker 2:

But that might be more of the case, the dyslexia, because of, you know, I have trouble reading things because I have, I believe, I don't know if I've ever, I've never been diagnosed with it, but I always have believed that I'm dyslexic because words move when I'm reading them. but i i think that it's it's interesting that you say that you can't read cursive at all

01:37:26 - 01:37:36 | Speaker 5:

yep i've it's kind of like uh we learn latin at my elementary school and um i i've never used that

01:37:36 - 01:37:42 | Speaker 2:

either so so megan megan if a guy if a guy were to write you a love note you would not

01:37:42 - 01:37:48 | Speaker 5:

i can read cursive i'm just saying i know but that wouldn't make you feel good used regularly

01:37:48 - 01:38:15 | Speaker 4:

um okay barb what's up barb how you doing hi um i have a daughter-in-law that's 35 and cannot tell time on a clock and if it's roman numerals she's totally stumped roman numerals are i always have to look them up yeah i know her kids can do it i think they're teaching it in school again because her children who are seven and ten can tell time on a clock but she can't how does she help with

01:38:15 - 01:38:20 | Speaker 2:

homework because i i was told after the kids were in fifth grade i could not help them with their

01:38:20 - 01:38:29 | Speaker 4:

homework anymore yeah i don't know how she does it and she went to like divine child in dearborn so you would think they'd learn how to tell time but they didn't yeah i mean you kind of know where

01:38:29 - 01:38:39 | Speaker 1:

the one and the 12 are on the clock so even if you don't know roman numerals you can still kind of tell time educated guess yeah yeah i only know roman numerals every super bowl i have to figure

01:38:39 - 01:38:42 | Speaker 4:

But I usually have to look it up first to know.

01:38:43 - 01:38:59 | Speaker 2:

Barb, I want you to know this. Being in radio taught me how to tell time, and I can tell it three different ways. Like right now, it's 8.18 or 18 minutes after 8, or it's if you've got to be somewhere before 8.30, 12 minutes, you've got to get there.

01:39:00 - 01:39:05 | Speaker 5:

Wow, that's impressive. No, it's not. We have a system that tells us when the top of the hour is that he's looking at.

01:39:05 - 01:39:06 | Speaker 2:

I got that.

01:39:06 - 01:39:08 | Speaker 5:

It counts down in the corner.

01:39:08 - 01:39:17 | Speaker 2:

Wait, hold on. If you want to know it's the top of the hour, I can't tell you that I need to actually pull out the calculator to help with that. What's up, Bobby?

01:39:18 - 01:39:22 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Bobby? What's happening, guys? Good morning.

01:39:22 - 01:39:23 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. How you doing?

01:39:24 - 01:39:32 | Speaker 3:

So I have a Cadillac, and in the middle has the old school, you know, regular hands clock.

01:39:32 - 01:39:32 | Speaker 2:

Fancy.

01:39:32 - 01:39:39 | Speaker 3:

And my daughter is 14 and thought that was an extra speedometer so the passenger could see.

01:39:41 - 01:39:50 | Speaker 2:

I will tell you this. On certain cars like that, like the Cadillacs, the higher-end cars, they do that. They put the fancy little clock in there.

01:39:50 - 01:39:52 | Speaker 4:

It looks so silly to me.

01:39:52 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 1:

Well, I got the 10 years ago. I got the 300C, and they put it in there to make it refined, luxurious. And for six months out of the year, it was.

01:40:00 - 01:40:03 | Speaker 6:

the wrong time because they had no instructions on how to change it for Daylight Savers.

01:40:04 - 01:40:17 | Speaker 1:

And she was filling out a job application in where it said employee signature. She said, Dad, I don't have a signature. I had no idea how to write in cursive. And being a freshman.

01:40:17 - 01:40:22 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, my daughters had the same problems when they were getting their driver's license. I was like, I don't know how to sign this.

01:40:22 - 01:40:31 | Speaker 5:

I just recently had a document come back to me and tell me that they couldn't do it because my signature didn't match up with my signature the first time I signed.

01:40:31 - 01:40:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but even signatures nowadays, like I had to sign an official document and it was a digital, like you click a button online, you're not signing anything anymore.

01:40:39 - 01:40:40 | Speaker 4:

It makes the signature for you.

01:40:41 - 01:40:41 | Speaker 2:

Right.

01:40:41 - 01:40:46 | Speaker 5:

Or you use your finger sometimes on iPads and things. I never put the right signature.

01:40:46 - 01:40:47 | Speaker 4:

I just squiggle, squiggle. Yeah.

01:40:48 - 01:40:53 | Speaker 5:

Hey, thanks for the calls, guys. All right. The word for today is calculator.

01:40:54 - 01:40:55 | Speaker 4:

That's not great.

01:40:55 - 01:40:58 | Speaker 6:

Please use it in a sentence. Whip it out.

01:40:59 - 01:41:13 | Speaker 5:

All right. Mojo in the Morning Show. Good to have you guys listening. Shannon, the gift that was the best gift for your kids this holiday season.

01:41:13 - 01:41:57 | Speaker 4:

Well, okay, so this is twofold. I personally got a really great gift. Did I tell you guys what this was or show you a picture of it over a break? I can't remember who I told my cousin, Eric, who we normally don't exchange gifts on the Murphy side of my family. And over dinner on Christmas Day, he handed me this tissue paper wrapped gift over the table. And I was so confused because I thought we don't even do gifts. I unwrapped it. Do you guys know what it was? It was a bunch of ornaments still pristine in their boxes that Channy's granny had bought from me over the years, starting like when I was in preschool, elementary school, just as fundraisers. And each one had a little note from her on the bottom about when she bought it from me and what I was doing. And very Marianne Murphy, very Shani's granny. So loved that gift. Wait a second.

01:41:57 - 01:42:00 | Speaker 5:

So how did he get his hands on it?

01:42:00 - 01:42:24 | Speaker 4:

So he lived in my grandmother's house for a couple of years after she passed away. And so he inadvertently inherited a whole bunch of boxes of her stuff that he is still, this many years later, just starting to open. And so that was in a box of her Christmas stuff. Oh, my God. And so he thought that it should come to me. So that was really special and very, very cool.

01:42:24 - 01:42:45 | Speaker 3:

Your stare was holding. Ripped jeans, skin was showing. Hot night, wind was blowing. Where you think you're going, baby? Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy. But here's my number, so call me, maybe. Yeah, so I'll have to put those on my tree now.

01:42:45 - 01:42:55 | Speaker 5:

By the way, real quick, because that's a sweet story before you get to the next one here. Yeah. This isn't the same relative of yours that sent me a Christmas card to my house. Did you get one?

01:42:55 - 01:43:00 | Speaker 4:

No. No, no, no, no. That's Justin, Russ. I saw Russ on Christmas Eve. Yeah.

01:43:00 - 01:43:16 | Speaker 5:

I got a Christmas card sent to my house from Shannon's cousin, and I still don't know how he has my address and everything, but it was a very nice Christmas card. And did you know that he got me a gift? He gave me lottery scratch-off tickets.

01:43:16 - 01:43:16 | Speaker 4:

Are you serious?

01:43:17 - 01:43:25 | Speaker 5:

Yes, he actually bought me two $5 lottery scratch-off tickets, which neither of them were winners, but it was very sweet.

01:43:25 - 01:43:29 | Speaker 4:

You have to say neither of them were winners, or he'd show up at your house. I know.

01:43:30 - 01:43:32 | Speaker 6:

I'm surprised he didn't scratch them before he sent them to you.

01:43:32 - 01:43:54 | Speaker 4:

But the gift. I talked yesterday, because you asked me if my kids got anything that I already want to return, And I said, our sweet babysitter got my five-year-old Smith a drum set, which has been really lovely because I'm treated to a concert every night. But I forgot to tell you this. Wes, my boyfriend, got Smith a Venus flytrap.

01:43:55 - 01:43:59 | Speaker 6:

The plant. The plant. The plant that eats flies and bugs.

01:43:59 - 01:44:11 | Speaker 4:

And meat and only can have distilled water, this dang thing. So now I am taking care of this Venus flytrap Which, have you ever seen a real one?

01:44:11 - 01:44:14 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I've had them over the years And then bought them for my kids

01:44:14 - 01:44:19 | Speaker 4:

They're kind of creepy You come near them and their little fangs things close

01:44:19 - 01:44:27 | Speaker 6:

And it's not an animal, it's a plant? It's a plant, but it closes and swallows flies and spiders and digests them

01:44:27 - 01:44:30 | Speaker 4:

I literally fed it steak the other day Little pieces of steak

01:44:30 - 01:44:36 | Speaker 6:

Wow, that plant eats better than I do I just put mine on the windowsill, hope it gets a few little nets or something.

01:44:37 - 01:44:41 | Speaker 4:

It's terrifying. Yeah, he thought that was a great idea to have in my house.

01:44:42 - 01:44:46 | Speaker 5:

That's interesting that it was, does Smith take care of it?

01:44:47 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 4:

He is absolutely fascinated by it, like has to check on it when he wakes up before he goes to bed. He loves this thing. It was not anything that he asked for, but Wes had them when he was younger.

01:45:00 - 01:45:08 | Speaker 6:

He's like, oh, I thought that this would be a cool idea for Smith, you know, that Smith would be into it. And he is. It's just the strangest thing.

01:45:08 - 01:45:11 | Speaker 1:

Did he ask you ahead of time if he could give this to him?

01:45:11 - 01:45:24 | Speaker 6:

He didn't ask. He just said, this is one of the things I'm getting, Smith. And I said, absolutely not. And he said, well, I don't care what you think. Why? I'm still getting it for him. Because it's weird. It's not an animal that you have to take care of. No, I know. It's just I look at it and I think of Little Shop of Horrors.

01:45:25 - 01:45:26 | Speaker 1:

Hey. Feed me.

01:45:27 - 01:45:32 | Speaker 6:

Come on. That's what I think of, like it is going to eat me when I'm sleeping.

01:45:32 - 01:45:33 | Speaker 1:

Oh.

01:45:33 - 01:45:44 | Speaker 3:

If you played that song in the background every time you fed it, though, and posted it on Instagram, I swear to God I would die. I'll do it for you. I'll do it for you today.

01:45:44 - 01:45:49 | Speaker 1:

Did Pam, your kid's babysitter, ask about the drum set before giving her?

01:45:49 - 01:45:50 | Speaker 6:

No.

01:45:50 - 01:45:57 | Speaker 1:

Aren't people who give either loud or alive gifts supposed to ask the parents?

01:45:57 - 01:46:04 | Speaker 6:

Um, I mean, I, I guess you could, but I think if it's a rodent, yes, but plant just sits

01:46:04 - 01:46:08 | Speaker 7:

on the window. So when it dies, it dies. It's not like a kid's going to cry for weeks.

01:46:08 - 01:46:15 | Speaker 6:

Like it has this big sticker on it that says killer plant, which, which, uh, gift is, is

01:46:15 - 01:46:24 | Speaker 1:

more annoying for you. The loud gift or the gift that you have to actually take care of, um, uh, the drums usually

01:46:24 - 01:46:27 | Speaker 6:

are, are like, we have to take breaks from the drums right now.

01:46:27 - 01:46:30 | Speaker 1:

Why did the drum set not go to Dad's house?

01:46:30 - 01:46:33 | Speaker 6:

The drum set's about to go to Dad's house. He just doesn't know it yet.

01:46:34 - 01:46:36 | Speaker 1:

That's a big ask, though, isn't it?

01:46:36 - 01:46:54 | Speaker 6:

It's really funny because the kids. Moving it. So we did Christmas. We do Christmas morning every other year. We flip where Christmas morning is. And so this year it was at Andrew's house, and the kids got a ton of slime. And sure enough, the first day they came back to my house, all of that slime was in a bag that came with them.

01:46:54 - 01:47:04 | Speaker 4:

Who decided slime was a good idea? Like what person created slime and said, we should give this to kids because it doesn't come out of anything. I know. Well, that's why it's at my house now.

01:47:04 - 01:47:37 | Speaker 1:

We did in trending news yesterday. I think it was something like five out of 12 parents regret a gift that was given to their kids. I wonder how many parents can call us up right now and tell us what is the gift that you regret either you gave or somebody gave them. And did somebody give them, like, one of these annoying gifts and not tell you? Like, in Shannon's case here, where both of these gifts, I guess Wes did ask, but you said Pam did not, where they give them a gift that is now a regrettable gift.

01:47:37 - 01:47:46 | Speaker 3:

My seven-year-old brother, I think, asked every single person for a yo-yo for Christmas. This kid has, like, ten yo-yos now. That's cute. That's a cute gift, though. Yeah.

01:47:46 - 01:48:27 | Speaker 1:

That's nice. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. 88844-MOJO-LIVE is the telephone number, and you can call us up and tell us what gift. I think I said yesterday, like, the survey of the regrettable gifts, and a lot of them was, you know, having to put them together, or they're all over the house, or the kids are constantly on them, you know, like the video game type situation. Yeah. But I think that there's all different reasons. The Venus Fly Trap, which is funny because I've heard of a Venus Fly Trap, but for some reason I always thought that that was just an animal. I did not know that it was actually a—

01:48:27 - 01:48:30 | Speaker 6:

Or that it was fake, and it didn't really—I didn't think that they really existed.

01:48:30 - 01:48:31 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:48:31 - 01:48:32 | Speaker 6:

And now I have one.

01:48:32 - 01:48:37 | Speaker 1:

And I didn't realize that, and that yours actually has good taste. It likes—

01:48:37 - 01:48:38 | Speaker 6:

Steak.

01:48:39 - 01:48:40 | Speaker 1:

Yes. And high cholesterol.

01:48:40 - 01:48:41 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:48:41 - 01:48:45 | Speaker 1:

It likes to have steak. What's up, Justin? How you doing?

01:48:45 - 01:49:10 | Speaker 2:

hi uh so wanted to comment on the the wacky gift so my good friend and i every year we get obnoxious gifts for each other's kids so one year i got his five-year-old like a legitimate drum set and then this year i got him one of those mini megaphones that he can travel with and go all over the place with just to annoy the heck out of my my buddy oh my god you guys are terrible yeah you know what

01:49:10 - 01:49:18 | Speaker 1:

one of my you know one of my favorite gifts was uh justin as a little kid one of my favorite gifts was Mr. Microphone. It was a thing that...

01:49:18 - 01:49:20 | Speaker 7:

Oh, God, I have one of those. Look what it led to.

01:49:20 - 01:49:33 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it would actually work off of a frequency on the radio, and you'd tune the radio to whatever that frequency was, and you could sit there and talk nonstop on the thing. That was actually, like, the coolest gift ever. Rachel, what's happening?

01:49:34 - 01:49:35 | Speaker 5:

Hi, how are you?

01:49:35 - 01:49:37 | Speaker 1:

We're good. What was the regrettable gift?

01:49:38 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 5:

So it wasn't a gift, but it was when my daughter got into the slime phase, and she kept sneaking it to school. And I'm like, you can't take this stuff to school. Like, I didn't want her to have it at all. I kept throwing it away. She kept making new. So one night she got it all stuck in her hair. We spent hours trying to get it out of her hair. The next day.

01:50:00 - 01:50:15 | Speaker 1:

the school calls me she had snuck it back to school and somebody at school told her to make a crown out of it all in her hair the school had to call me to come and get her oh my god

01:50:15 - 01:50:35 | Speaker 4:

slime out of her hair oh man that yeah that that and that by the way is is one of those gifts that it seemed like a good idea uh what's up uh ali ali this is another gift that i sometimes you'll here of like the rich uncle or rich grandparents that will buy this for your kid. What was the gift?

01:50:36 - 01:51:02 | Speaker 2:

Well, my in-laws just got a large inheritance. So while everyone else got a nice check, we went on a scavenger hunt and the scavenger hunt ended up with a full-blown backyard trampoline. Oh, wait, that's an amazing gift. How old is your little one? My daughter is two. Oh, oh, God. And I'm pretty anti-trampoline, but she wouldn't know that because she didn't ask.

01:51:03 - 01:51:06 | Speaker 4:

They probably should have put money in her college fund instead.

01:51:06 - 01:51:07 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, exactly.

01:51:07 - 01:51:08 | Speaker 4:

That's funny.

01:51:08 - 01:51:13 | Speaker 2:

Luckily, she's young enough to not know that mom returned her gift.

01:51:13 - 01:51:15 | Speaker 4:

Wait a second. She doesn't even realize it.

01:51:15 - 01:51:23 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you did? Yeah. She had bought it already, and it was in her van in boxes still, and we just politely asked her to return it.

01:51:24 - 01:51:26 | Speaker 4:

What kind of money does a trampoline cost?

01:51:26 - 01:51:30 | Speaker 2:

It was like a $1,000 trampoline Holy cow

01:51:30 - 01:51:35 | Speaker 4:

So what did you do instead with the money? Did you buy mommy a gift?

01:51:36 - 01:51:38 | Speaker 2:

No, we're just putting it in savings

01:51:38 - 01:51:40 | Speaker 4:

Oh good, okay Thank you for the call

01:51:40 - 01:51:42 | Speaker 2:

Yep

01:51:42 - 01:52:23 | Speaker 4:

Take care The Joe Show just walked in This is my last day of doing shows down in their studio They just walked in to the studio You guys want to say hi to Joe, Jed, and Ashley You can listen to them afternoons on Channel 955 in Detroit, or you can listen to them. Don't listen to them during their show, because that would be during our show. That's their morning show. What's going on, guys? How are you? How's everybody doing? Ashley, we were talking yesterday at this time. We didn't get a chance to talk to Ashley about this. I got a little bit of time before Shannon does the dirty. Joe, yesterday you told us about how you went to Miami to meet a girl. How did you guys, first off, how did you know this girl? Did you meet her online or something?

01:52:23 - 01:52:25 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I slid in her TikTok DMs.

01:52:25 - 01:52:26 | Speaker 4:

Really?

01:52:26 - 01:52:35 | Speaker 5:

Is this the girl you showed me, Ash, when you were here for Jingle Ball? Oh, my gosh. Okay. All right. All right. She's hot. Is she famous? No, she's not famous. She's just a baddie, bro.

01:52:35 - 01:52:36 | Speaker 4:

She's a baddie. A baddie.

01:52:36 - 01:52:37 | Speaker 5:

She's a baddie.

01:52:38 - 01:52:40 | Speaker 4:

And a baddie means a good something good, right?

01:52:40 - 01:52:42 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah. She's beautiful. She's gorgeous.

01:52:42 - 01:52:52 | Speaker 4:

Very happy to see you. So Joe was saying that you went and stayed with her in a hotel down in Miami, but you claim that you did not touch her at all, and she did not touch you.

01:52:52 - 01:53:07 | Speaker 5:

I mean, we cuddled. We did some heavy cuddling, but there was no kissing. There was nothing, no fun. Wow. Nothing at all. Listen, I went out there with the intentions of getting to know this girl, hanging out with her, you know, taking things slow, and we did just that. She had an incredible time.

01:53:07 - 01:53:09 | Speaker 4:

Really? She had an incredible time. Are you sure?

01:53:09 - 01:53:29 | Speaker 5:

Mind you, did he also tell you, this girl and I had been talking for three months, and we never FaceTimed. So the first time I ever saw her face and her voice was when I picked her up from the airport. Oh, come on. Swear. Well, you saw her online. I saw her online, but in funny videos. But you never talked face-to-face. We never FaceTimed.

01:53:29 - 01:53:36 | Speaker 3:

Call that build-up, and you finally find out she's super hot, and you don't even kiss her. Wait, stop for a second.

01:53:36 - 01:53:39 | Speaker 4:

Did she really look like she looks like on her TikTok?

01:53:39 - 01:53:45 | Speaker 5:

She did. I was shocked, because I'm like, dude, I could have hopped on a row and drove back to Tampa, but yeah, she was a baddie. I stayed with her for three days.

01:53:45 - 01:53:48 | Speaker 4:

And you guys did not touch vaginas?

01:53:48 - 01:53:55 | Speaker 5:

We did not. And she ended up texting me, because I told her we talked about it, And she was like, yeah, I kind of would have been uncomfortable. I was like, I know, baby, but it was horror.

01:53:55 - 01:53:57 | Speaker 4:

Did she nipple tickle you or anything or not?

01:53:58 - 01:54:03 | Speaker 5:

Nipple tickle. You know what? She kind of grabbed at me once. And I was like, girl, you better quit playing. It's been a couple months.

01:54:03 - 01:54:13 | Speaker 4:

You know what's funny? I have known Ashley since I don't even know how old you were, but I've known you for a long time. I have no idea. Does Ashley have boobs?

01:54:14 - 01:54:17 | Speaker 5:

Oh, Joe definitely saw them. He saw them when I was cold.

01:54:17 - 01:54:38 | Speaker 3:

Ashley has fantastic boobs. I've touched Ashley's nipples before. He has. Yeah, she she grabbed she's done it multiple times I think she doesn't she knows I like turn bright red, but she's gone like oh my god I'm so cold and then she'll grab her hand and just boom right on her nipple. Oh, wow I've worked with Shannon 13 years. I've never touched a nipple

01:54:39 - 01:54:51 | Speaker 4:

Turn that studios air down See what's going on Alright, so this is interesting So this girl is a possible Maybe a relationship

01:54:51 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 5:

We'll see what happens Her birthday is Valentine's Day Alright, so we had this discussion

01:54:59 - 01:55:21 | Speaker 4:

On the show This morning, and I think that Ashley's getting mad at me, but wouldn't you guys agree? No, no, no. Wouldn't you guys agree? I'm not attacking you when I say this. I think that you really do like her, which is a good thing. There's nothing wrong with liking someone. And I think that hanging out their first date, their first time they were together was on Christmas Day. Like that makes it more serious, doesn't it?

01:55:21 - 01:55:31 | Speaker 6:

No, we're in our 30s. We don't have any kids. I had no plans on Christmas Day. We were both available. Why not? And for the record, the 25th was three days prior to, or three months prior to me sliding in our DMs. Exactly.

01:55:31 - 01:55:33 | Speaker 4:

So she even knows these dates.

01:55:33 - 01:55:39 | Speaker 6:

I'm trying to be like Spike, dude. Spike knows all the cute little relationship dates and stuff. Really? Yeah.

01:55:39 - 01:55:45 | Speaker 3:

So wait a second. So what do you mean you're kind of like Spike? Explain. She's being sentimental. She's being thoughtful and romantic.

01:55:45 - 01:55:53 | Speaker 6:

I'm remembering things that's important to her. So I was like, yo, the 25th, baby girl, I ain't trying to be corny, but I still let me on DM September 25th, and I'll be hanging out three months later.

01:55:53 - 01:55:54 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God.

01:55:54 - 01:56:00 | Speaker 4:

We're burying the lead. Christmas is a more romantic holiday than Valentine's Day. No. You're setting this up for marriage.

01:56:00 - 01:56:01 | Speaker 6:

No, I'm not.

01:56:01 - 01:56:06 | Speaker 5:

I agree with Joe, actually. Christmas is a more romantic holiday. I do.

01:56:07 - 01:56:08 | Speaker 3:

It is.

01:56:08 - 01:56:09 | Speaker 5:

Valentine's Day is for the kids.

01:56:09 - 01:56:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. So let's mark this down that this might be the day that we found out about Ashley's future wife.

01:56:16 - 01:56:21 | Speaker 5:

Oh, here he goes. Now, you know what? Do an engagement bet on her.

01:56:22 - 01:56:31 | Speaker 3:

By the way, listen, I can actually perform weddings even in the state of Florida. I just want you to know with my... And Joe is also ordained. We can duel ordained.

01:56:33 - 01:56:34 | Speaker 6:

Your first lesbian one, right? Or no?

01:56:35 - 01:56:41 | Speaker 3:

No, I've done a gay marriage. Actually, I did a... Was it a lesbian marriage? I think it was a lesbian marriage. Yeah. All right.

01:56:41 - 01:56:42 | Speaker 4:

This will be different.

01:56:42 - 01:56:44 | Speaker 3:

I gay marriage. I'm very open-minded.

01:56:44 - 01:56:50 | Speaker 4:

That's a pretty cool wedding. You don't even know if they're a guy or a girl. Ashley, you know you're at a cool wedding. Right.

01:56:50 - 01:56:59 | Speaker 3:

By the way, I can't wait to – by the way, did you guys learn something in this thing? The thing I learned the most is that Ashley has boobs and that these guys have touched them.

01:56:59 - 01:57:01 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, we're close, man. We're close.

01:57:01 - 01:57:37 | Speaker 3:

I did not know that. All right, listen to our More Mojo podcast from yesterday, the first episode of 2023, so that you can hear all the dirty stuff that we talked about from yesterday's show with a special appearance from Joe and the Joe Show. All right, got to get to the dirty here. Mojo in the Morning. Find us on Instagram. It's Mojo in the Morning. January the 20th, and you can win tickets now. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. 95th caller. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Shannon, let's get caught up on what's trending in the Dirty on the 30.

01:57:37 - 01:57:47 | Speaker 5:

Well, the latest update for you that we have on Buffalo Bills safety, DeMar Hamlin, his uncle, was sharing some information to CNN outside of UC Medical Center last night.

01:57:47 - 01:57:51 | Speaker 2:

I'm just glad he's still alive and able to fight and trying to get better and recover.

01:57:51 - 01:57:55 | Speaker 1:

You told me off camera your nephew died twice. Can you explain?

01:57:56 - 01:58:13 | Speaker 2:

Well, his heart had went out, so they had to resuscitate him twice. They were resuscitating him on the field before they brought him to the hospital, and then they resuscitated him a second time when he got to the hospital. So I just want to show my gratitude for the medical staff that were on hand because if not for them, my nephew probably wouldn't even be here.

01:58:13 - 01:58:32 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, his uncle said it seems like he's trending upwards in a positive way. And the big goal right now is to get him to breathe without assistance. He is currently on a ventilator at about 50%. He did suffer some lung damage with what happened to him. Side note, yesterday, the NFL announced the Bengals' bills will not resume their game this week.

01:58:32 - 01:58:49 | Speaker 3:

I heard, I saw that whole interview with the uncle. And one of the things that he also said in there was that he was watching the game with Jamar's little two-year-old or three-year-old brother, I think it was.

01:58:49 - 01:58:50 | Speaker 5:

Yes.

01:58:50 - 01:58:50 | Speaker 3:

At the time.

01:58:50 - 01:58:51 | Speaker 5:

Yes.

01:58:51 - 01:59:11 | Speaker 3:

And that as soon as they saw that and saw everything that was going on, they raced, got in the car, and drove from Pittsburgh to Cincinnati. Could you imagine watching on television as your nephew and this little brother's brother collapses, not knowing what's going on? And what is the drive from Pittsburgh to Cincinnati?

01:59:11 - 01:59:13 | Speaker 6:

Probably like five, six hours, five hours, maybe.

01:59:14 - 01:59:15 | Speaker 3:

Holy cow. That's just awful.

01:59:16 - 01:59:42 | Speaker 5:

Rosie O'Donnell, not present for the View co-host tribute to the late Barbara Walters yesterday. And while people thought it was a huge snub, it was simply due to scheduling conflicts. At least that's the story according to her rep. Her rep said she was mid-flight and that's why she was unable to attend, insisting that Rosie has wonderful memories of her relationship with Barbara. I agree with you. Come on. Rosie posted a TikTok. I mean, she posted some nice stuff, but.

01:59:42 - 01:59:48 | Speaker 1:

Well, she said she couldn't, she didn't know if she was going to be able to keep it under control. It sounded like she was going to get in a fight with somebody.

01:59:49 - 01:59:52 | Speaker 5:

I wonder who. Like who, I mean, they're all. She didn't name names. Yeah.

01:59:52 - 01:59:55 | Speaker 1:

I was like, was Elizabeth Hasselbeck there?

01:59:55 - 02:00:04 | Speaker 5:

Yes. I was going to say current and past co-hosts were remembering Barbara Walters yesterday. Elizabeth was there, Lisa Ling was there, Joy, of course, Whoopi was there.

02:00:04 - 02:00:28 | Speaker 1:

Tributes are pouring in from around the world to celebrate the life of Barbara Walters. And the reason why we're all sitting here, really, if not for her, I don't know where most of us would be. There was nobody like her. No. There isn't anyone like her and like all firsts, she's the first. And there are many of us duplicates. But there'll never be another Barbara Walters.

02:00:28 - 02:01:34 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, Debbie Batonopoulos, paid tribute. Do you guys remember her? I think so, yeah. She was like the OG, but no, Rosie. And lastly, Taylor Swift's cat is worth $97 million. Let me repeat that. Her cat, worth $97 million. According to the Ultimate Pet Rich List, Olivia Benson is the third richest pet in the world. The list says Olivia earned her fortune starring alongside her owner in several music videos, has crafted her own merch line, and has had cameos in many big-budget ads, including for the likes of Diet Coke. Olivia, if you aren't aware, is named after the Law & Order SVU character played by Mojo's favorite, Mariska Hargitay. But the number one spot on the pet rich list is occupied by a German shepherd called Gunther, who is owned by the Gunther Corporation. Never heard of this. That pet is worth 500 mil. Number two is held by Nala Cat. Noliket has 4 million followers on Instagram worth $100 million. Then Olivia Benson. Then Oprah Winfrey's dogs, Sadie Sonny, Lauren, Layla, and Luke, who are worth an estimated $30 million.

02:01:34 - 02:01:36 | Speaker 4:

What about Coraline?

02:01:39 - 02:01:52 | Speaker 2:

It's funny that you say that because I was going to ask. I got Coraline because Jenna Marbles has Kermit, and I was truly surprised that you didn't say Jenna Marbles' dogs, either Mr. Marbles or Sermon. Well, at least they're not in the top five.

02:01:52 - 02:01:53 | Speaker 5:

He's not in the top five.

02:01:53 - 02:01:56 | Speaker 3:

What about Shannon's new Venus flytrap?

02:01:57 - 02:02:07 | Speaker 5:

It needs a name. It needs a name. Too-y. It needs to be too-y. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on TheDirtyOnTheMorning.com.

02:02:36 - 02:02:36 | Speaker 4:

02:02:37 - 02:03:12 | Speaker 3:

Nice to have you on the show. Congratulations. You got tickets. You're going to see SmackDown, WWE SmackDown. Congrats. Can't wait. We're going to set you up with the tickets. It's January the 20th. Tickets available at Ticketmaster.com. And you hang on the phone for just one second and we'll get all your information, okay? Sounds great. Thank you guys so much. Oh, appreciate you, man. Appreciate you listening to the show. Yesterday, someone said something to Megan. And believe it or not, today, they are still alive to talk about it. Shocked.

02:03:12 - 02:03:12 | Speaker 2:

I'm not sure why.

02:03:12 - 02:03:35 | Speaker 3:

Shocked to know. Although, you know, it's funny is what they said to Megan, you know, I have said 99.9% of women would be offended by it. I think that statistic is even higher. It's like 110% of women would be upset by it. And what was the conversation about? What were you guys talking about?

02:03:35 - 02:04:54 | Speaker 2:

So we were talking about the Bills-Bengals game and specifically the commissioner of the NFL. okay and i was having a discussion about whether or not the commissioner was in the wrong for waiting so long to call the game off because the rumor is that he wanted the players to go back in the players were refused so there's not really any confirmation of what happened but we were just discussing it and i i said yesterday on the show but if you miss it my point of view is that the commissioner only cares about dollars and not the players that's why they played so many commercial breaks and don't want to reschedule this game before the super bowl and it's just my opinion right whatever I'm not in the right or the wrong and neither is anybody else because we weren't there for those conversations and we don't know what's going on we're just talking about it and discussing what we think the probability of any of these situations playing out actually was or so I thought because the way I was disrespected yesterday I I don't know if I reacted the right way so I need some clarification from the girls so as we're having this discussion And I'm not heated. We're, like, joking and talking about it or whatever. And this guy who I was talking with had a different view than me and got so angry and said, you must be on your period.

02:04:54 - 02:04:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God.

02:04:55 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no thanks. There are two reactions to that.

02:05:00 - 02:05:38 | Speaker 5:

either blow up which is what guys deserve but then they feel validated in saying what they said or you can stay calm and tell them that they're idiots and then the message doesn't really get through to them anyway so i feel like when when men say you must be on your period it is absolutely a lose-lose situation for women and i was so angry so angry and i stayed calm and i told told him that was very inappropriate and you know you wouldn't want your sisters your mothers your daughters whatever treated this way so why do you think it's acceptable to treat me that way

02:05:38 - 02:05:47 | Speaker 3:

and just I'm so glad you stayed calm oh because that makes it more awkward when you look like if someone makes a really bad joke and you just look at them and you don't laugh and they're like oh

02:05:47 - 02:06:01 | Speaker 4:

shoot they didn't get my joke it's just a dick move like that's all he was trying to be was a huge dick it's the dumbest thing to say too like oh okay i'm on my period and there's no

02:06:01 - 02:06:14 | Speaker 2:

comeback for women to do that to men who is it well yeah i have periods um but but who who is this person again it's just a complete stranger or is it somebody that we know which is even worse

02:06:14 - 02:06:18 | Speaker 5:

How old was he? Gotta be in his 60s. 60s then.

02:06:18 - 02:06:19 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's worse.

02:06:19 - 02:06:40 | Speaker 4:

Had to have been. To me, do you know what that is? It's like the equivalent of a grown man getting upset on the playground and taking the basketball and stumping it back home. Because they don't have a logical comeback. Exactly. It's like this just the dumbest, dickish dick. I just want to say dick 10 more times.

02:06:40 - 02:06:49 | Speaker 3:

Like he was just a dick. Megan, a texter just said, Megan, don't be shy. Drop his ad. But he's 60. I don't think he has an Instagram. He doesn't have an ad.

02:06:49 - 02:06:53 | Speaker 5:

But I'm sure I can pull up his phone number in the system when he called in. In the phone book.

02:06:55 - 02:07:09 | Speaker 2:

I find it interesting that there are guys that would still use that, even a 60-year-old guy. Because I would think that there are guys that would be smart enough to not say something. Well, it's not smart.

02:07:09 - 02:07:19 | Speaker 5:

It's a power move. No, he thought he was belittling me and saying, I'm better than you. That's 100% what that was.

02:07:19 - 02:07:25 | Speaker 4:

To me, that is the equivalent of a really bad dad joke at this point. Like, oh, you're going to use that? Okay, nothing else to say.

02:07:26 - 02:07:31 | Speaker 5:

But it wasn't, this is a joke. It was, haha, I'm better than you because you have a period.

02:07:32 - 02:07:41 | Speaker 4:

That was it. I've just never taken it that way. I guess I've always taken it as like, you can't think of something better than that as your retaliation?

02:07:41 - 02:08:00 | Speaker 5:

No, because what it was to him was you have an emotional response. So you are emotional and that makes you weak and less than. But what I want to say to him in that situation was if that's your response, you're responding emotionally to what I have said. You're literally exemplifying what you think is a bad trait in me.

02:08:00 - 02:08:16 | Speaker 2:

And he doesn't realize it. What was it that a guy or your guy or whoever guy, what was it a guy said to you that made you just want to punch him in the nose uh 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is the uh the

02:08:16 - 02:08:21 | Speaker 1:

telephone number or maybe like knee him in the nuts and be like you know since we're uh discussing

02:08:21 - 02:08:44 | Speaker 2:

our biological function let's test yours it's it's funny because yesterday we were having a discussion about the commissioner and about that particular thing and i thought megan was on point with all of her comments that she was making and I normally don't think she's always on point but I found you very on point yesterday

02:08:44 - 02:08:51 | Speaker 5:

to be fair I was on another radio station and they hate me over there so I do think that plays into it

02:08:51 - 02:08:56 | Speaker 1:

and you were being smart about sports smarter than the men in the room and they did not

02:08:56 - 02:08:58 | Speaker 5:

they didn't like that they didn't like that

02:08:58 - 02:09:38 | Speaker 2:

by the way Ronda who we talked to earlier this morning who got very upset with Reese doing this. I don't know if you guys have ever heard Rhonda do her sports reports, but she does them nationally for iHeart. She's on, literally on more stations than I think I've ever worked on in my life. Get into a conversation with Rhonda, she could talk circles around me. Whenever we will have a conversation and stuff like that, she will ask me about my period. So that's why I wanted to bring that up Plus I'm trying to make nice with her Because she's still mad at us

02:09:38 - 02:09:46 | Speaker 1:

You just woke up you missed a fiery discussion To begin the show with our poor birthday boy Reese was hiding under the desk He was attacked

02:09:46 - 02:09:55 | Speaker 2:

He had the finger in the face And everything Nikki what's going on Hi can you hear me Hi Nick what's up

02:09:55 - 02:09:57 | Speaker 5:

Can you hear me

02:09:57 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Yes hello Bye.

02:10:00 - 02:10:16 | Speaker 4:

hi sorry about that um so i'm in medical sales and one of the doctors or i went into the group and he looked at me and he's like oh how far along are you and i was not pregnant and i just play along because i felt so stupid i didn't want to embarrass them i was like oh i've just a little

02:10:16 - 02:10:34 | Speaker 1:

cut just a few months oh my gosh wow wow we were while we were talking about that earlier this morning with another topic too don't ever assume that somebody is pregnant yeah yeah Tracy, what's going on? Tracy wants to comment about what happened to you, Megan.

02:10:35 - 02:10:37 | Speaker 2:

Hey, guys. How are you this morning?

02:10:38 - 02:10:39 | Speaker 1:

We are great. What's up?

02:10:40 - 02:11:07 | Speaker 2:

Good. Hey, I have a I had a sister-in-law. She's been she passed away about 10 years ago. But any time that my big brother pulled a period card on her, her response was always, oh, I'm sorry. What's your excuse? Your DNA, which is for your D needs attention. now that's funny we always try to use that now and it always gives me a good chuckle

02:11:07 - 02:11:12 | Speaker 1:

i like it that's good megan you got to write that down i don't know i couldn't remember that

02:11:12 - 02:11:18 | Speaker 2:

off the top of my head but that's so good next time you're on as always i don't really have

02:11:18 - 02:11:25 | Speaker 1:

much to say back to it yeah next time so is this scott sand show that uh this but this guy wasn't

02:11:25 - 02:11:35 | Speaker 3:

somebody that you talked to on that show right was it no no he was just like a listener so he's one of the members of my community it's great that we live in the same he embarrassed himself as a

02:11:35 - 02:11:42 | Speaker 1:

listener to call in and show the whole world what adult he is well i mean anytime i'm on that show

02:11:42 - 02:11:52 | Speaker 3:

anybody will call in for any reason to say that they hate me because one time i joking jokingly went on and was like the communist is here so now they hate anything i say

02:11:52 - 02:12:30 | Speaker 5:

hey lindsey what's up for you good we're doing good what's up so i when we were in high school i went to an all-girl high school and we actually learned that men do have a time of the month it just isn't always monthly but apparently there's a cycle where men's body temperature rises and kills off a large quantity of their sperm and it messes up their testosterone. Yeah, it messes up their testosterone levels. I mean, you guys do get moody at certain times of the month. All of you.

02:12:31 - 02:12:33 | Speaker 1:

And what is it that brings it on?

02:12:35 - 02:12:51 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. It's a cycle that men's bodies go through where their body temperature rises and then the heat kills off a large amount of their sperm and messes with their testosterone and hormone levels and makes them grumpier because you're not adjusting well.

02:12:52 - 02:12:57 | Speaker 1:

I'm telling you, I guarantee you, we do. Thank you for the call. Take care of yourself.

02:12:58 - 02:12:59 | Speaker 5:

You too. Thank you.

02:12:59 - 02:13:13 | Speaker 1:

All right. Maybe we should do a segment on this because if Megan's going on other stations talking sports and not giving us the fun opportunity to be able to hear, although our listeners probably agree with you a lot more than these other listeners would.

02:13:14 - 02:13:15 | Speaker 3:

I think so.

02:13:15 - 02:13:23 | Speaker 1:

I think we should find, like, Megan Battles Her whatever guy or whoever. A troll.

02:13:23 - 02:13:34 | Speaker 3:

To be fair, over on that station one time, I did have a lady write a letter, write it out, and then send it to the station calling me a hussy and a tramp. And honestly, I framed it.

02:13:35 - 02:13:38 | Speaker 5:

I got one of those. Remember, we got them at the same time, I think.

02:13:40 - 02:13:55 | Speaker 1:

Five lies to tell your mom.

02:14:49 - 02:15:07 | Speaker 1:

So Erin wants to do five lies to tell your mom. Erin, by the way, is on the straight and narrow. She's actually been working very, very hard at this. Yes. And your mom finally actually has trust in you, and you're going to f**k it all up in one phone call here on the Mojo in the Morning Show.

02:15:08 - 02:15:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's right.

02:15:10 - 02:15:13 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. But you're going to win our prize, right?

02:15:14 - 02:15:15 | Speaker 3:

I don't know.

02:15:16 - 02:15:23 | Speaker 1:

All right, we're going to do five lies to tell your mom. These are all lies. This never happened, but you've got to make it sound like it did, okay?

02:15:24 - 02:15:25 | Unknown:

Okay.

02:15:25 - 02:15:33 | Speaker 1:

Lie number one in five lies to tell your mom. You're going to say, Mom, the police are at my house right now, and I'm in trouble.

02:15:35 - 02:15:36 | Speaker 3:

Should I be writing this down?

02:15:37 - 02:15:49 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, well, unless you can remember it. You sound like you got your hands full.

02:15:49 - 02:15:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you do. At least get, like, the bullet points, you know? Just the general gist of it is good. But you got to hit them all. My mom was just calling me, too, just now.

02:15:58 - 02:16:05 | Speaker 1:

All right, lie number two. I was at Dollar Tree and didn't bring my wallet.

02:16:06 - 02:16:06 | Unknown:

Okay.

02:16:07 - 02:16:12 | Speaker 1:

Lie number three. Security caught me and called the cops.

02:16:13 - 02:16:13 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:16:14 - 02:16:20 | Speaker 1:

Lie number four. I took off before they came. All right. Are you a fast driver?

02:16:21 - 02:16:21 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

02:16:22 - 02:16:26 | Speaker 1:

All right, good. because lie number five, they are now here to arrest me.

02:16:27 - 02:16:27 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:16:27 - 02:16:28 | Speaker 1:

You ready?

02:16:28 - 02:16:29 | Speaker 3:

All right, I'm ready.

02:16:29 - 02:16:31 | Speaker 1:

All right, let's do it. Here we go.

02:16:31 - 02:16:32 | Unknown:

All right.

02:16:37 - 02:17:26 | Speaker 3:

Oh, gosh. Hello? Mom? Yes? The cops are at my house right now. They just showed up. Um, I was at, uh, I was at Dollar Tree earlier today to stop and get something and I didn't have my wallet on me. So I just, you know, I thought I could just take it real quick, get away with it. Well, uh, security caught me and called the cops, but I took off before they, they got me and left in the truck home, and the cops are now here to arrest me.

02:17:29 - 02:17:36 | Speaker 2:

Why do you do that? I don't have any money to bail you out.

02:17:38 - 02:17:44 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I didn't know what to do. I needed it, and I didn't have my wallet, so I just thought I could.

02:17:45 - 02:17:59 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's what you're thinking gets for you. You don't steal something because you can't afford it. You wait until you can. God, Aaron, I thought you were all over that s***. That's teenage stupid s***.

02:18:00 - 02:18:02 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no. I know. I'm sorry.

02:18:02 - 02:18:06 | Speaker 1:

Is this mom? Is this your mom on the phone?

02:18:07 - 02:18:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:18:08 - 02:18:17 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. Mom? Hello? Hi. How are you? I'm sorry. I'm the police officer.

02:18:18 - 02:18:21 | Speaker 2:

Well, I'm not happy about what she did.

02:18:21 - 02:18:25 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, we're not happy either. I know this has got to be a pain in the a**, huh?

02:18:26 - 02:18:26 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:18:26 - 02:18:29 | Speaker 1:

Can you believe the stuff she took, too? It's unbelievable.

02:18:30 - 02:18:32 | Speaker 2:

I can't believe at her age she's still doing this.

02:18:32 - 02:19:11 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Did she tell you what she took? No. She took 105 boxes of condoms. 340 rolls of toilet paper and 5 canisters of hemorrhoid cream she was going to have one hell of a party I'll put you back on the phone with her right now okay? All right. All right. Go ahead, Erin.

02:19:18 - 02:19:27 | Speaker 3:

It was forced. I needed it for something. Are you in complete shock? Are you going to say anything?

02:19:28 - 02:19:40 | Speaker 2:

What do you want me to say? I mean, I've said a thousand things before, and apparently it doesn't do any good. What are we going to do, take you to jail now?

02:19:43 - 02:19:46 | Speaker 1:

Well, it looks like it. She just handed me the phone back, Mom.

02:19:47 - 02:19:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:19:47 - 02:19:51 | Speaker 1:

I'm sorry. She told me the hemorrhoid cream was for you.

02:19:53 - 02:19:55 | Speaker 2:

No, I don't have any problems there.

02:19:56 - 02:19:58 | Speaker 1:

It's not? Okay. Here, I'll put you back on the phone with her. Go ahead.

02:20:00 - 02:20:26 | Speaker 3:

So the hemorrhoid cream was for me? That's what I said. I thought it would sound a little bit better. I was, like, helping my elderly mother. Stealing and stealing, Aaron, nothing makes that right. I know. I know you know, but yet you're dumb enough to go ahead and do it anyway.

02:20:27 - 02:20:31 | Speaker 2:

Mom, she handed me the phone again. Who do you think the condoms are for?

02:20:32 - 02:20:32 | Speaker 3:

I have no idea.

02:20:33 - 02:20:40 | Speaker 2:

Crazy. Real quick, Aaron's going to tell you one last thing. Aaron, go ahead. You can tell your mom the biggest news of them all.

02:20:43 - 02:20:46 | Speaker 3:

So the biggest news is this is all a joke.

02:20:46 - 02:20:51 | Speaker 2:

What? Mom, you're on five lives to tell your mom on the Mojo in the Morning show.

02:20:51 - 02:20:59 | Speaker 3:

All I can say is I'm glad my mug shot's not on it

02:20:59 - 02:21:07 | Speaker 2:

Your daughter had you on five lies to tell your mom so that she could get you a prize

02:21:07 - 02:21:10 | Speaker 3:

What kind of prize? A pack of amory cream?

02:21:14 - 02:21:18 | Speaker 2:

Mom, are you shell-shocked right now or are you happy that your daughter's not in trouble?

02:21:19 - 02:21:21 | Speaker 3:

I'm happy that my daughter's not in trouble Yeah.

02:21:22 - 02:21:25 | Speaker 2:

02:21:50 - 02:22:23 | Speaker 2:

All right, this always happens to us, and I have no idea why the Internet department, the web department, or whatever the hell the department's called, for iHeart doesn't do this. But for some reason, they always end up screwing up our mojointhemorning.com way to pay your bills. So if you are listening in Grand Rapids, then go to SNX's website, 1045snx.com, or is KissToledo.com, is that what it is? Or is it 92.3 Kiss FM?

02:22:23 - 02:22:25 | Speaker 1:

92.5 Kiss FM.

02:22:25 - 02:22:26 | Speaker 2:

92.5, what did I say, three?

02:22:27 - 02:22:29 | Speaker 1:

Is it 92.5 Kiss FM? We've only been to Kiss FM for like six years, it's fine.

02:22:30 - 02:22:31 | Speaker 2:

I know, but you know.

02:22:31 - 02:22:33 | Speaker 1:

Are you 95.4?

02:22:33 - 02:22:37 | Speaker 2:

When's the last time I've gone to a website? I haven't been to a website and I don't even know how long.

02:22:37 - 02:22:40 | Speaker 1:

But you use cursive and write notes all the time. Got it, got it.

02:22:41 - 02:22:44 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I'm going to, seriously? I'm going to get you.

02:22:44 - 02:22:47 | Speaker 1:

Oh my God. Who just whispered it?

02:22:47 - 02:23:14 | Speaker 2:

Or go to channel955.com. So any of the station's websites, because mojointhemorning.com, it does not work on it. So, and here's the word. I haven't given the word yet. The word is grand. So enter the word grand for a chance to win $1,000 to pay your bills. That is grand, G-R-A-N-D. Go to our station's sites right now. And if you don't know our station's website, Google it.

02:23:14 - 02:23:24 | Speaker 1:

Once a cheater, always a cheater. The world famous War of the Roses. Happens tomorrow at 7.05 and 9.05. On Mojo in the Morning.

02:23:27 - 02:24:30 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning. Find us on the iHeartRadio app and listen to us wherever, whenever. And if you would like to comment on anything that happens on the show, All you do is call or text. Now, if you're on the iHeartRadio app, don't stop the stream. Just text us. So the phone number to call is 844-665-6548. That's 844-MOJO-LIVE. But if you're on the iHeartRadio app or if you like to text better, text 95500 with your comments. Now, understand, if your text is good, we will call you up, and our producer may ask you to go on the radio and say what you had to say, you know, in the text. It just makes radio much more interesting than us sitting there reading a bunch of text messages. So thank you for being here with us. So listen to this. So our producer KP's mom is getting trolled online by, is it somebody that she knows or is it, who is it?

02:24:31 - 02:25:02 | Speaker 1:

So it's a relative. Not going to say the name for the sake of never hearing the end of it. But I'm sure everyone's got that one person on their social media that they have to mute or like block so that they can't see certain posts or like silently unfriend. Unfortunately, she's a relative, so we can't like unfriend. But she she's been doing something lately to my mom that's absolutely cracking me up. Yeah. I was going to ask, how is she trolling your mom? What's she doing?

02:25:02 - 02:25:21 | Speaker 2:

So this, over the holidays, we've seen a lot of different families over the holidays. And this one particular relative keeps posting pictures of my mom that look terrible. Oh, really? On purpose? On purpose. Like, well, so my mom thinks it's on purpose.

02:25:21 - 02:25:26 | Speaker 3:

Is it just, are the photos just of your mom or are they this relative and your mom?

02:25:26 - 02:26:07 | Speaker 2:

Some of them are like really cropped. So it's like very zoomed in on my mom. and like but most of them are like with her in it so it's my mom in this relative and she's tagging my mom in all these pictures and posting and my mom is getting so fed up so she just untags herself so it doesn't show up on her feed anymore so she just doesn't have to see it and recently they ended up getting into like a fight at the family party because the relative was like why do you keep untagging my photos from your feed and my mom was like because you keep posting these god-awful photos of me yeah and i just think it's so funny that my mom is just so upset about this i don't

02:26:07 - 02:26:42 | Speaker 1:

know i've got friends that are like that i got friends that will filter the hell out of their pictures and then they worry about how they look in the filter and then you're in you got one eye closed yeah you got a speckle on your eye and you're like what is that actually is your relative Reese because he's he's left us uh handless and footless in photos Megan you're awfully quiet yeah Megan this is this is uh this is KP's mom's way of uh getting you getting back uh here it's

02:26:42 - 02:26:59 | Speaker 4:

so funny though like relatives on social media and close friends are always the ones that roast you the most or troll you the most and you're like why but for why are you causing me this discord Or do you know you're only posting that because you know it's going to upset me? Why not just leave me alone? And the go-to excuse for it is, oh, I just go for the candid photos.

02:26:59 - 02:27:05 | Speaker 3:

I just want the candid photos. But if they're zoomed up of KP's mom specifically, that's just blatant to me.

02:27:05 - 02:27:10 | Speaker 2:

Like her photos, they look like they're like this two-bit Costco photo. Like that.

02:27:11 - 02:27:27 | Speaker 4:

You need to show your mom how to hide them so they're not, like her posts are hidden. Because if you block or unfollow, then it shows them, and they get the satisfaction of knowing. If you just hide it, you never see their posts, and then they never get the satisfaction of even getting a response or knowing.

02:27:27 - 02:27:34 | Speaker 3:

Or you could just make it so that you have to review everything before it gets posted to your timeline. You know what I mean? Yeah, I feel like everyone has to do that one.

02:27:34 - 02:27:55 | Speaker 1:

Mama KP, by the way, is a very beautiful lady. Have you guys seen what Mama KP looks like? Yeah. Yes, we met her. Yeah, she's a beautiful lady. But real quick, you know what they should come up with? Because Shannon and Spike were talking to you about what to do, like all the technical stuff. They should have it that if you unfollow or untag yourself, you disappear. It's like...

02:27:55 - 02:28:18 | Speaker 4:

Well, you kind of do. So there's a person on my Facebook that you can post and everyone sees... You can set up a rule where it's... I wish you could do this on Instagram and TikTok and the other platforms. But on Facebook, you could post, who sees this? All public except Regina. and you can like post where like every they're the only one they never see any of your posts

02:28:18 - 02:29:13 | Speaker 2:

you can do that for instagram story the problem is that if you do one specific person and then they another relative is like oh did you see so right they're like why can't i absolutely post and they're like oh i know now i know i'm specifically being blocked and it's funny because the same relative that's doing that i ended up having to tell reese hey reese can you block this person from the mojo page they keep commenting this awful stuff like i was joking with megan about this because it happened with one of Megan's posts. She commented something about Megan's house and I'm like, get out of here. I'm not having this on the Mojo page. I think it was about a door on your house. Megan, you had some dirt on your door and she was like, oh, that's a really dirty door. There's a few you can tell that just need attention. I've always said that about her door. It was the weirdest comment because she was being unnecessarily mean. It was also like, you know, it's like on purpose. A dirt on my front door.

02:29:14 - 02:29:21 | Speaker 1:

Why is this relative doing this? Why is this relative mean to your mom and a mean person?

02:29:21 - 02:29:22 | Speaker 2:

Probably just boredom. I don't know. Really?

02:29:24 - 02:29:33 | Speaker 1:

You don't have to say the person's name, but what is their relationship? What's their demographic? Are they older or younger?

02:29:33 - 02:29:35 | Speaker 3:

Oh, they're older, yeah. Female? Yes.

02:29:36 - 02:29:41 | Speaker 1:

And they have a lot of time on their hands to be exploring bad pictures of your mom and

02:29:41 - 02:29:50 | Speaker 3:

Megan's door yeah photos like is she that is she aloof or do you think that

02:29:50 - 02:30:01 | Speaker 2:

this is truly she's just trying to be I I just don't I I don't know I got an idea I really yeah

02:30:00 - 02:30:01 | Speaker 3:

You know, KP, you're just not saying it.

02:30:01 - 02:30:08 | Speaker 1:

Megan, let's have KP's mom drive to Toledo and take a picture in front of your door.

02:30:08 - 02:30:16 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. I would die. I would die. You know how none of you are allowed over at my house? KP's mom is. Honestly, y'all will get along.

02:30:17 - 02:31:14 | Speaker 1:

That would be so funny. I'm looking for a new mom. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, or text 95500. I can't believe how many text messages are saying that mother-in-laws do this. They got like three text messages, including one that talked about how their mother-in-law always puts bad pictures of me on Facebook or Instagram. Anytime that there's a family gathering and a picture is posted, I know that I'm going to look horrible with posts of pictures where my eyes are closed or not even looking at the camera. That's awful. That's your own mother-in-law that's doing that. Text her here, I had to block, it's another mother-in-law one, I had to block my mother-in-law from my Facebook post because she would steal pics of my son and brag about how amazing her grandson is that she has never seen.

02:31:15 - 02:31:16 | Speaker 4:

Oh, wow.

02:31:16 - 02:31:42 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Well, there's obviously something drama in that family if grandma's never seen her own grandchild. Yeah, but did you see Megan's dirty door? by the way does mike do that a lot to you does he like to uh bring back the jokes megan to make to poke fun at you is this it will you talk about this on your podcast today yeah everybody thinks

02:31:42 - 02:31:55 | Speaker 3:

i'm the mean one but secretly it's mike and he's fooled all of you uh he he makes himself seem like the lovable goofy husband and father but really he's the most malicious one out of all of us gotta watch out for the nice ones on the next

02:31:55 - 02:32:02 | Speaker 1:

i forgot the name of the podcast what is the name of your podcast slightly messy show yes that's it

02:32:02 - 02:32:07 | Speaker 3:

are you kidding me dude i just wanted you to plug there are two participants on your show who do

02:32:07 - 02:32:15 | Speaker 1:

this you can hear it today uh we posted today chrissy what's going on hi mojo hi what's up

02:32:15 - 02:32:51 | Speaker 6:

Um, so I had to block my uncle because we went on a girl's trip and his daughter is not allowed to drink, even though she's 24, just like us. And we have like three cousins who are all the same age. So me and the other one went on a trip and then we posted pictures and stuff. So he made like a petty comment that like, oh, you finally have friends. So we just blocked him. Wow. Why was that necessary? yeah yeah he was really savage about it um what's going on liz hi

02:32:51 - 02:33:07 | Speaker 2:

so i have two cousins they are sisters and they will literally get the whole family all our cousins everything involved in it and they will tag us and post just to start crap with people

02:33:07 - 02:33:37 | Speaker 1:

anything oh my gosh and they're in the board they're they're staying well my cousin one cousin's a stay-at-home mom so she's bored like any anybody anybody who says social media was actually a good thing is crazy because if all social media has done is brought out the bad in people um i like this one the the mother-in-law topic uh the idea about people with the bad mother-in-laws uh do we have somebody online number one yes kelly kelly i don't have a name Kelly?

02:33:38 - 02:33:39 | Speaker 4:

Hi. How are you?

02:33:39 - 02:33:41 | Speaker 1:

Good, Kelly. What did you do?

02:33:42 - 02:33:45 | Speaker 5:

I created a fake Facebook page for my mother-in-law.

02:33:46 - 02:33:51 | Speaker 4:

Did you really? So you had to invite everybody else to join it, too, so it didn't look like she was your only friend?

02:33:52 - 02:33:57 | Speaker 5:

Yep, yep, yep. And then just blocked her from my other Facebook. Wow.

02:33:57 - 02:33:59 | Speaker 4:

What was she doing that caused you to do that?

02:34:00 - 02:34:12 | Speaker 5:

Oh, it was just crazy stuff. She would steal pictures of my kids. And she would post memes that were, you know, very derogatory about your daughter-in-law or things of that nature.

02:34:13 - 02:34:14 | Speaker 4:

I mean, knowing you're going to see them.

02:34:15 - 02:34:30 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah. No, no. We had even, like, a meeting at the house about it. And she's just like, I don't like her. I'm not going to like her. And this is what I'm going to do. So I talked to my girlfriend. She said, create a Facebook page for her to see. And that's what she gets.

02:34:30 - 02:34:35 | Speaker 1:

Do you ever get confused and use the wrong Facebook?

02:34:36 - 02:34:46 | Speaker 5:

Well, she's blocked from my regular one, so it doesn't matter. She can't see it anymore. She thinks that I created a new one for my business, and this is my Facebook now. We just blocked her from my real one.

02:34:47 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 1:

Sue, voice disguised, also has issues with her mother-in-law. You're, by the way, one of about eight text messages and about 12 phone calls that we have on mother-in-laws being horrible.

02:35:00 - 02:35:40 | Speaker 4:

Well, actually, she's my ex-mother-in-law now, so I do have that going for me. But on Thursday, everyone's blowing out their candles, right? You know, the woman takes a picture when you're blowing out, when I was blowing out the candles and my cheeks were completely puffed up and full of air. And then printed those pictures off. And at Christmas time, gave everyone in the family those collage frames. And that was the picture of me. Then she also had it printed off up at the cabin. And every time I'd go up there, I would hide the freaking picture because it ticked me off. Like, so rude. But anyway, yeah. I love how fired up you are about it. That's so good.

02:35:40 - 02:35:41 | Speaker 6:

You got to be careful.

02:35:43 - 02:35:48 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I bet you that picture is still there, even though you're not even a part of the family anymore. I bet.

02:35:50 - 02:35:54 | Speaker 4:

It's for the new girlfriend, right? His sugar mama to take a look at. Oh, yeah.

02:35:55 - 02:35:55 | Speaker 5:

Shots fired.

02:35:56 - 02:36:41 | Speaker 6:

You have to be careful with Voices Geyser because when you get fired up like that, sometimes it brings out your real voice. Your reflection. Yeah, people are like, hey, that's my former daughter-in-law on the radio right now. Thank you for the call. Take care. Facebook. Facebook. Mojo in the mornings. Dirty on the 30. We're going to give you a chance to win Taylor Swift tickets. It's our Taylor Swiftmas. If you text right now the word Taylor to 95500, you have a shot to win. So text Taylor to 95500, standard text, and data rates do apply. Good luck, and you can win Taylor Swift tickets. Taylor's coming in June to Ford Field. We'll get a look at the dirty. This is the last dirty of the year.

02:36:41 - 02:36:51 | Speaker 5:

I know, I know. So in the wake of the tragic death of Twitch this week, Tyler Perry is opening up, and he's opening up about his own struggles with mental health.

02:36:51 - 02:37:18 | Speaker 2:

I, like the rest of the world, am shocked by the death of Stephen Boss, Twitch. But with that said, I just want to take you back to a time in my life where I tried to commit suicide a couple of times because it was so dark, I didn't think it would get any better. I had endured so much pain, so much abuse, sexual abuse. And it was all so hard to just move through that I thought the only way to make this better, this pain go away, is saving my life.

02:37:19 - 02:37:25 | Speaker 5:

He went on to share some encouraging words for those who may be struggling at this time of year, especially.

02:37:26 - 02:37:55 | Speaker 2:

My life now, I'm the happiest I've ever been. Life is full of joy and love, things I never thought I'd get to. And I'm saying that to you. If you are a person who is considering suicide or ending your life, and you've already been through a lot of hell, please, please, please think about what the other side could be. It could be amazing. And you would miss the best part of it going through the darkness. Don't let the darkness stop you from getting to this incredible place of light.

02:37:57 - 02:38:24 | Speaker 5:

Side story about Tyler Perry, while we're talking about him in the dirty, he's the godfather of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter, Lilibet, Diana, baby Lily, the couple revealing that info in the final episode of their Netflix docuseries, Harry and Meghan. We got three more episodes yesterday. And this second group of episodes also had Meghan talking about how terrifying it was to receive death threats almost on a daily basis at one point. It just said, Meghan just needs to die.

02:38:24 - 02:38:52 | Speaker 3:

Someone needs to kill her. Maybe it should be me. I was just like, that's like what's actually out in the world because of people creating hate you know and that's the piece when you see it and you go you are making people want to kill me it's not just a tabloid it's not just some story and like that night to be up and down in the middle of the night looking down my hallway like are we safe are the doors locked is security on is everything that's real are my babies safe harry also opened

02:38:52 - 02:39:03 | Speaker 5:

up about the infamous Sandringham Summit, the meeting with his brother, William, his dad, and the Queen when he broke the news that he and Meghan wanted to step away from their royal duties.

02:39:04 - 02:39:32 | Speaker 1:

It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me and my father say things that just simply weren't true, and my grandmother, you know, quietly sit there and sort of take it all in. You have to understand that from a family's perspective, especially from hers, her ultimate sort of mission goal slash responsibility is the institution people around her are telling her that proposal or these two doing xyz is going to be seen as an attack on the institution then

02:39:32 - 02:39:43 | Speaker 6:

she's going to go on the advice that she's given is that what the xyz is as zed i've always wondered that yeah i mean xyz i thought it was xyz and in england they say zed zed what does that mean

02:39:43 - 02:39:44 | Speaker 5:

It's the letter Z.

02:39:44 - 02:39:48 | Speaker 6:

They say Zed is Z in England?

02:39:48 - 02:39:49 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:39:49 - 02:39:52 | Speaker 6:

What is A in England?

02:39:52 - 02:39:55 | Speaker 5:

I'm pretty sure it's all the same except for Zed.

02:39:55 - 02:39:57 | Speaker 3:

Don't they say Zed in Canada, though?

02:39:58 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 6:

I have no idea.

02:40:00 - 02:40:05 | Speaker 3:

And will you find out for us when you bring your picture of the thong picture?

02:40:06 - 02:40:13 | Speaker 6:

Yes, I will. Another Dirty Today, Sister Wife stars Mary Brown and Cody Brown are calling it quits after 32 years together.

02:40:13 - 02:40:14 | Speaker 3:

Another one bites the dust, huh?

02:40:14 - 02:40:16 | Speaker 6:

No real surprise here, I don't think.

02:40:16 - 02:40:17 | Speaker 7:

Have you been watching the season?

02:40:17 - 02:40:18 | Speaker 3:

I have.

02:40:18 - 02:40:21 | Speaker 7:

Okay, so do we think that Janelle has left as well?

02:40:21 - 02:40:23 | Speaker 3:

I think that there's a possibility that he's going to be left.

02:40:23 - 02:40:28 | Speaker 7:

Is the only Robin left? It's sobbing Robin, baby. It's Cody and sobbing Robin.

02:40:28 - 02:40:31 | Speaker 3:

Robin is like You can't even deal with her

02:40:31 - 02:41:05 | Speaker 6:

She cries, that's what she does Part one of the Sister Wives One-on-one special airs on Sunday night And a clip from it Cody at one point says I don't really consider myself married to Mary If she wanted to move on and marry another She wouldn't get an argument from me And Mary's whole take is Well, that was the first time that he ever said that Now, technically they're not legally married anymore Because they had to get divorced a couple of years ago so that he could legally wed his fourth wife Robin and adopt her children from a previous marriage. So they were in like a spiritual union of sorts.

02:41:05 - 02:41:28 | Speaker 7:

Which turns out, I don't think they actually had to get married for him to adopt the kids. It just seems like this has been the plan for a long time. Also, he was blaming Christine for the reason why he was not forgiving Mary. Christine laughed. He had no reason. And now he's like, oh, she could move on. She wants to. He fell in love with Robin and then was like, oh, I don't think polygamy is my thing. And you cannot change my mind.

02:41:28 - 02:41:39 | Speaker 3:

You know what's amazing is you talked about the Chrisleys going to prison and stuff. Yeah. If there was a reality star that had to go to prison, I'd want it to be that guy. Like, for some reason, I'd want him to go to prison more so than even the Chrisleys.

02:41:40 - 02:41:46 | Speaker 7:

Cody drives me absolutely insane. I hate that guy. What's with the hair? The ramen noodles? The ramen noodle hair. What are you talking about?

02:41:46 - 02:42:04 | Speaker 6:

They are holding up for your left, baby. So bad. And lastly, Miley Cyrus, joking in a new interview about the ways she has emulated her legendary godmother, Dolly Parton. She was asked by E! News yesterday about the possibility of playing Dolly in a biopic at some point down the road.

02:42:06 - 02:42:20 | Speaker 5:

Me and Dolly have never really spoken honestly about me playing Dolly because I feel like I'm already doing it. I don't know what they're going to do to me. I'm sucked, I'm tucked and plucked Just like she taught me I'm sucked, I'm tucked and plucked

02:42:20 - 02:42:31 | Speaker 6:

By the way, don't forget They're slated to co-host Miley's New Year's Eve party Live from Miami On New Year's Eve on NBC For all of today's Dirty Check out the Dirty page on Mojo in the Morning

02:42:31 - 02:42:43 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:42:50 - 02:43:37 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning. Got an email from a Mojo in the Morning listener. I figured I'd get it before the end of the break because this actually works for only now. I couldn't bring him back after the break and talk about this. It says, Mojo, Spike, Shannon, Megan, Mike, I wanted to ask you guys a question. Is it too late to break up? I have been in a relationship with the same guy for the last year and a half. He has never treated me right, and I don't feel like spending one more minute with him is actually going to make me a better person. Although I worry that it's getting too close to the holidays to do this, should I wait until after the holidays? You know, I'm kind of torn on this because have any of you guys ever broken up with anybody during the holidays?

02:43:37 - 02:43:38 | Speaker 6:

Yes.

02:43:38 - 02:43:40 | Speaker 3:

Really? You broke up with someone? How close to the holidays?

02:43:41 - 02:43:47 | Speaker 6:

One the very first week of December and the other like literally right after Christmas.

02:43:47 - 02:43:51 | Speaker 3:

Okay. So you wait, wait. Okay. So this is too close. Anybody else in there?

02:43:52 - 02:43:57 | Speaker 6:

Well, I wouldn't call that waiting. I mean, it was like the first week of December.

02:43:57 - 02:44:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but that's still at least within a, like, that's, like, at least a few couple, three weeks. Okay, all right. Like, right now, look at what we're going on. We're 10 days away. Right. Less than. Less than, yeah. KP, didn't you say one time that you broke up with a boyfriend right around Christmas? Like, at what point is it to?

02:44:17 - 02:44:26 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I did, and I just felt like I didn't want it to keep going and be fake during the holidays. It's such a hard time already when you're with someone else's family. I didn't want to be fake.

02:44:26 - 02:44:30 | Speaker 3:

You are so mean. How soon before Christmas did you break up with him?

02:44:31 - 02:44:34 | Speaker 2:

Oh, boy. Nobody hate me. A week. Oh, my God.

02:44:35 - 02:44:38 | Speaker 3:

Wow. So, like, within this time. Come in the studio and tell us about this.

02:44:39 - 02:44:44 | Speaker 1:

I mean, this may not be the popular opinion, but if someone's not into me and wants to break up, I want you to do it now. I don't want you to tell me.

02:44:44 - 02:44:52 | Speaker 6:

That's why I agree with that. I don't care what day it is. I agree with that. Disagree. Don't stretch it out for longer than it should be.

02:44:52 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 1:

It's just as bad to tell me the day after Christmas That you weren't into me And you wanted to break up And you just made me sit around for three days

02:44:59 - 02:45:00 | Speaker 6:

So you think it's worth

02:45:00 - 02:45:06 | Speaker 4:

to have a little bit of like a mediocre holiday, then that person be like super upset and depressed through the holiday and lonely.

02:45:07 - 02:45:08 | Speaker 5:

It'd be heartbroken either way.

02:45:08 - 02:45:10 | Speaker 4:

No, no, disagree.

02:45:10 - 02:45:40 | Speaker 3:

There's one that's mediocre and one that's devastating. I mean, I'm in charge of my own happiness. His, he's responsible for his own emotions. We'd been together for almost five years and I just felt like I didn't want to sit through and pretend through the holidays. Yeah. And I just wanted to be very upfront and forward. So I did it. Yep. The thing is, I gave him my gift. I still love and care for him. His family is still a part of my life. Oh, you still gave him a gift. That's okay. I gave him his gift. I wanted him to keep it. I don't know how he felt. To be honest, I feel like he might have been salty about having to give me mine, but I don't care. Oh, wait a second.

02:45:41 - 02:45:43 | Speaker 1:

He still gave you his gift?

02:45:43 - 02:45:48 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, because he's like, you can't have your cake and eat it too. That was one of the comments he said. He's a nice guy.

02:45:48 - 02:45:50 | Speaker 1:

What did you guys give each other? What was the parting gift?

02:45:51 - 02:45:58 | Speaker 3:

Gosh. Oh, I had worked. I was a seasonal employee at Lululemon at the time, so I got him a bunch of really nice Oh, that's expensive stuff. Yeah.

02:45:58 - 02:46:00 | Speaker 1:

Even with a discount, it's expensive stuff.

02:46:00 - 02:46:12 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and I wanted him to have it because, I mean, I care for him. What did he give you? He got me, actually, it's the purse I wear to work every single day. It's this leather purse from Madewell, which is one of my favorite stores. So he got that for me. Wow. Yeah.

02:46:12 - 02:46:22 | Speaker 1:

All right. So, okay, we have a little bit of disagreement. Megan and I are more the you should wait and fake it, where Spike, Shannon, and KP are like, do it. It's over. It's over.

02:46:22 - 02:46:24 | Speaker 3:

I can't have another day. Yeah.

02:46:25 - 02:46:31 | Speaker 4:

It's going to be over no matter what. I just don't... Yeah, but I don't want to have a... Yeah, no, no.

02:46:32 - 02:46:34 | Speaker 1:

Megan, you and I have a heart. You and I are the only ones with a heart.

02:46:34 - 02:46:38 | Speaker 4:

Who would have thought us two out of everybody on the show would be the compassionate ones?

02:46:38 - 02:46:45 | Speaker 1:

Chelsea, if you're going to leave me, don't leave me until after the Christmas. Actually, leave me before the visa bill comes.

02:46:45 - 02:46:52 | Speaker 4:

Plus, if we're being really honest, I've liked most of my significant other's families more than my significant others. I want to spend the holidays with them.

02:46:52 - 02:47:06 | Speaker 3:

I don't want to miss that. That was the hardest part for me with that breakup. I was so close to that family. Like, when he was away from college, like, for college, I would be at his parents' house eating dinner with them. And, like, for my birthday, they'd bring me cake. Like, it was just like.

02:47:06 - 02:47:08 | Speaker 1:

Were they upset with you? Did they hate you afterwards?

02:47:08 - 02:47:26 | Speaker 3:

So his sister, his best, or his sister is one of my really good friends. And she was kind of telling me, like, the inside scoop of what's going on after the breakup because I didn't know anymore. And she's like, yeah, they're all really upset about it. But in time, everybody realized it was the right choice. Yeah. So you got to pull through.

02:47:26 - 02:47:30 | Speaker 1:

Why does this Judy Garland version of the song Is always played on every

I want you to know that I am putting my life on the line right now because I am staying on the air until 1030 even though I have a flight that is taking off just after 11 o'clock. Wait, what? No, that is a bad idea. Well, I figure I want to stay. I'll stay. I'll just, you know. Oh, in Florida, yeah. Yeah.

02:54:08 - 02:54:10 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I see how it is. Missed your flight.

02:54:11 - 02:54:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I missed my flight. Missed the show. Oh, darn it.

02:54:14 - 02:54:18 | Speaker 3:

Just lie and tell the bosses you were flying southwest. I mean, they canceled 16,000 flights so far. I know.

02:54:19 - 02:54:38 | Speaker 1:

I thought about it. Well, you know, it's funny. I wondered if the fog would affect my travel today becoming in a town. Because the weather today here, I've been doing the show the last two days in Joe and Ashley and Jed's studio, their office studio here for the Joe Show in Tampa, Florida. The weather here today is going to be 86 degrees.

02:54:38 - 02:54:40 | Speaker 2:

Why are you coming home?

02:54:41 - 02:55:21 | Speaker 1:

Because I've got a couple dogs I've got to take care of. I've got a lot of stuff. I actually, because I am not like that ABC News producer, I do not leave my children alone. By the way, did some investigating on this for Megan. The hotel is a three-minute walk from the restaurant. The story that Shannon did in her dirty just not that long ago about this ABC News producer and his wife. The guy ended up having a heart attack, which is like the worst-case scenario of what you do, what happens to you when you leave your two-year-old and five-month-old in a hotel room by themselves so you can go out and have a nice dinner.

02:55:21 - 02:55:23 | Speaker 3:

Well, worst-case scenario, something happening to the kids.

02:55:23 - 02:55:41 | Speaker 1:

They have a three-minute walk to the restaurant. But you guys know how elevators are in, you know, big buildings like New York City buildings. This is like a 50-some floor hotel. It'd probably take you like 10, 20 minutes to sometimes get in and out of the hotel just with the elevator.

02:55:41 - 02:55:43 | Speaker 3:

10 minutes for sure. That's a 10-minute trip right there.

02:55:44 - 02:55:45 | Speaker 1:

And they left their kids.

02:55:46 - 02:55:46 | Speaker 3:

Megan.

02:55:47 - 02:56:22 | Speaker 2:

I know who's not going to babysit for us. First of all, I don't want to babysit your kids, so win for me. But I don't know. I see parents a lot of times that like work out in the garage or I had a family member who had a business that they owned, but it was on their property, but it was like in a shed in the back of their property. And so like when the kids would nap, they would be in the main house and they would be working in their office. And that to me is just so different. Cause you could, you just like run across the line. But it's a couple of minutes walk. I mean, it was lots of acres, but it was a couple minutes walk.

02:56:23 - 02:56:34 | Speaker 1:

Here's the thing. This is an example. If you do stuff like this, worst case scenario, if you work out, you could have a heart attack and die, and your kids are there. But, like, this guy had a heart attack. He died.

02:56:34 - 02:56:35 | Speaker 3:

I mean, literally dropped dead.

02:56:35 - 02:56:37 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, dropped dead right at the—

02:56:37 - 02:56:39 | Speaker 3:

Right outside the restaurant, I think.

02:56:39 - 02:56:58 | Speaker 1:

And what do you do—like, okay, so this would be the interesting thing, and I was thinking about this with Chelsea. If we did this, and I started having a heart attack in the restaurant, she would run to the hotel to go see the kids. because knowing her she cared more about the kids oh my god whatever i'd be i'd be there with some

02:56:58 - 02:57:05 | Speaker 3:

uh strange uh bus boy but trying to revive me i mean that wasn't the case for these parents

02:57:05 - 02:57:10 | Speaker 1:

no she yeah she went to the hospital didn't she with him even in the ambulance as he was trying

02:57:10 - 02:57:28 | Speaker 3:

to be revived yeah um actually and i think that's how because i was trying to figure out how the hotel figured out at 11 p.m that there were unattended children in that room it must have been a case of somebody like a friend or a family member or something going to the hotel to get the kids because she was going to the hospital right yeah do you see what i mean

02:57:28 - 02:57:37 | Speaker 2:

i'm not right the name right whatever yeah it had to be that um i i remember going with the kids in

02:57:37 - 02:58:41 | Speaker 1:

in chelsea going to we stayed at a hotel and it was um in dubuque iowa and i remember chelsea leaving to go get some stuff at the store and I wanted to go to the ice machine down the hall and Joe and Jacob were really young and I remember like trying to figure out how to prop the door so I can go run out to the ice machine and do anything and all that was in my head was the door is going to slam shut I'm going to be standing out in the hallway with an ice machine an ice bucket and Chelsea's going to come back and she's going to be like what the f did you do and so I I didn't do it. You know, I didn't even, you know, you could put sometimes in some hotels, you can put like the security latch so you can keep the door open. This one didn't have that whole situation. It had like the chain, the security chain on there, which by the way, doesn't stop anybody. No. I'm thinking about this and I'm just thinking to myself. No, none of it does. Yeah. But okay. Megan. So Megan, do you think that leaving your children? So, okay. Question for you. Cause you have Coraline.

02:58:41 - 02:58:42 | Speaker 2:

Mm-hmm.

02:58:42 - 02:58:49 | Speaker 1:

would you have that dog you don't even leave coralline at home for a good period of time

02:58:49 - 02:59:27 | Speaker 2:

because you say they do yes i do i i also grew up in a generation where all of our parents smoked so like we were left at a very young age places so they could go outside and get a cigarette like i i know it's different going down the block i do think it was too far away when we were talking about this earlier i said would it be different if there was like a restaurant in in the hotel Like down in the lobby Would that be different Obviously if you're going across town These are babies that were very little You don't want an emergency to happen That would be terrifying But what is that balance of like How far can you go How long can you leave them How little can they be I think it's always the interesting question

02:59:27 - 02:59:53 | Speaker 3:

I think every parent asks themselves that Like I can remember when I think it was maybe Smith was a baby And he was napping And I'm really good friends with the girl That lives across the street from me And so I was like, can I go hang out on her porch and have him sleeping? And if I bring the monitor, you know, like it's it's it is like a question that I think parents struggle with. Like, I feel like it's OK. Is it OK? I don't know.

02:59:54 - 03:00:00 | Speaker 2:

And then I think the big one is when you talk about how old can kids be when you leave them alone? Like if you're going to work.

03:00:00 - 03:00:11 | Speaker 5:

and they're home from school sick, what age is that? And every parent will tell you a different age. So it's one of those weird kind of questions when it comes to parenting is what's okay?

03:00:11 - 03:00:26 | Speaker 2:

You know what's unbelievable, though? I think they went to a nice steakhouse, I guess it said. Aren't those places like it takes a while to get your food? It's like a big ordeal. It's not like going to Ponderosa where you get your...

03:00:26 - 03:00:29 | Speaker 1:

They're not trying to turn tables. It's a three-hour dinner.

03:00:29 - 03:00:49 | Speaker 5:

But it's not watching the baby monitor, right? And again, let's pretend this restaurant is in the hotel so it's not five minutes away because I think we all agree that's a little far. But if you knew your kid was going to wake up, couldn't you say send it up to the room or I'll be back later once I have the kid? You could have one of the parents leave and go take care of the kids?

03:00:50 - 03:00:50 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

03:00:50 - 03:00:54 | Speaker 5:

Or are you stuck in the hotel room every time they nap?

03:00:55 - 03:01:12 | Speaker 1:

If it takes 10 minutes to get to the room and your child starts screaming, maybe just wakes up, people in the hotel are going to call down the front desk. There's a baby screaming. There's nobody doing it. Something's going on. There's something wrong. And next thing you know, they're busting down the door. You're not there. Who knows who can enter the room, like room service or maintenance?

03:01:12 - 03:01:20 | Speaker 4:

It's not even that. I think it's just the anxiety of knowing that your child is alone and what could be. They obviously had no anxiety.

03:01:21 - 03:01:22 | Speaker 1:

They were worried about dessert.

03:01:22 - 03:01:28 | Speaker 4:

But I really mean that. My brain goes a mile a minute when I'm in my bedroom and my two kids are sleeping across the hall. But that was my point.

03:01:28 - 03:01:34 | Speaker 5:

Can't all this happen in a house, though, too? Absolutely. Aren't there just a false sense of security that home is safe?

03:01:35 - 03:01:39 | Speaker 1:

No, because in a hotel, there's a bunch of strangers wandering around. Yeah, but in your neighborhood,

03:01:39 - 03:01:41 | Speaker 5:

there's a bunch of strangers living in the other houses.

03:01:41 - 03:01:44 | Speaker 1:

You're not waiting for a bank of elevators to get up to your child at home.

03:01:44 - 03:01:51 | Speaker 2:

I'm laughing because there's a text message here that says, here goes Megan again with F them babies. Yeah, that's true.

03:01:52 - 03:02:07 | Speaker 5:

this is part of the reason though why i don't want to be a parent is because all of this stuff is so stressful and i think we talk about it a lot there's so much parent shaming that people probably don't want to tell us their answers because other people will judge them for

03:02:07 - 03:02:42 | Speaker 6:

it hey jen what's going on it's mojo in the morning um i just want to say i think it really totally depends on the kid and their maturity and responsibility level because you know When I was, like, 10 and 11, I was babysitting at other people's houses, young children, by myself, no cell phones, like, you know, and that was 20-some years ago. And my now 10-year-old, he just turned 11 yesterday, actually. He is, we just started leaving him home alone last year for a little bit of time, but I definitely don't leave him with my 5-year-old alone.

03:02:42 - 03:02:51 | Speaker 2:

Did you hear the ages of these These kids of the producer That ABC producer Two months old

03:02:51 - 03:02:52 | Speaker 4:

No five months old and two years

03:02:52 - 03:02:56 | Speaker 2:

Five months old and two years old Not much difference

03:02:56 - 03:02:58 | Speaker 4:

Oh wow

03:02:58 - 03:02:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah

03:02:59 - 03:03:03 | Speaker 6:

That's young That's a little

03:03:03 - 03:03:20 | Speaker 2:

By the way This actually brings back that Old saying that we've always talked about before on the show. Would you leave your purse or a wallet alone for this amount of time? In a room? Yeah. We talk about it in front of gas

03:03:20 - 03:03:32 | Speaker 1:

stations. People run in to get some snacks or something and they'll get a Slurpee and they'll leave their babies in the car for five minutes. But if you say, would you leave your purse in the front seat? They're like, no. Oh my gosh. Somebody will break the window. And I would not

03:03:32 - 03:03:36 | Speaker 2:

leave my purse alone in a room. I would hide it so that the maid didn't come in

03:03:36 - 03:03:42 | Speaker 5:

and take a look at it. Yeah, but purses don't cry in crap and babies do. So there's, like, other factors there.

03:03:42 - 03:03:44 | Speaker 2:

Oh, God. Misfit Victor, I'm afraid.

03:03:44 - 03:03:46 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I cannot wait to hear your take on this.

03:03:46 - 03:03:51 | Speaker 2:

By the way, I'm not in town to hit buttons here to cut you off, so you behave yourself. What's going on?

03:03:52 - 03:04:42 | Speaker 3:

I'll behave. Happy New Year, guys. Happy New Year. Back in the day, and I guess I can tell a story because Statue of Limitations is over or whatever, but we had a neighbor that used to leave the kids, Dave and Aaron, home all alone, all the time. So we used to call them, and we'd say, hi, and let's say their parents' names were Tom and Chelsea. Say, hi, can I speak to Tom or Chelsea, please? And they were told, do not tell them we're not home. Tell them we're in a shower or in a bathroom. They'd say, they're in a bathroom. I'd say, I'll hold. And they would sit there, and can we have them call you back? I'd be like, no, no, I'll hold. Let me talk to your mom or dad real quick. You can hear the panic in their voice. I'd be like, put your mom and dad on the phone. They're in the bathroom I go, both of them? I go, you're lying, aren't you? They hang up the phone and start trying to run to our house

03:04:42 - 03:04:45 | Speaker 4:

How old were they when you did this to them?

03:04:45 - 03:04:49 | Speaker 3:

They're about seven years old Oh my god, Victor

03:04:49 - 03:04:52 | Speaker 1:

Why terrorize the children? You should terrorize the parents for doing it

03:04:52 - 03:04:59 | Speaker 3:

But that was before a cell phone The parents would get home And they'd hear the story And then they'd wonder Who is this?

03:05:00 - 03:05:09 | Speaker 1:

psycho calling their house. The amazing thing is the parents know they're in the wrong doing it because they're telling their kids to lie and say that we're in the bathroom. Yeah, like

03:05:09 - 03:05:11 | Speaker 2:

how long is your dad and mom, are they doing

03:05:11 - 03:05:45 | Speaker 1:

a tandem poop? Are they sitting on each other's lap? Or what's going on? Yeah, my parents are still in the bathroom. We wonder what they're doing in there. All right, Victor, thank you for the call. Bye, I love you guys. Have a blessed day. Love you too. ABC's got a mess going on, don't they right now? Between that whole inner office romance thing that's happening, this producer that dies, and now we're hearing his wife gets arrested for child endangerment. This is interesting. All right. What do I got here? Let me give the word out here.

03:05:46 - 03:05:51 | Speaker 3:

03:07:27 - 03:07:32 | Speaker 2:

have to go and listen to it again please listen to it and then she found out that she had been

03:07:32 - 03:08:05 | Speaker 1:

all up in Reese's face and it was his birthday yeah oh she was like so bad she was so sweet when she oh it's your birthday you're still in a hole you know that was great uh so wish And remember, if you have any gift cards that are laying around that might have, you know, something on them, or you'd like to even just send Reese something nice. Remember, we're trying to do this for the poor bastard. This is going to be a tough month for him. He can hear you now, by the way. Yeah, no, I know. He knows he's a poor bastard. He is legitimately a poor bastard, right?

03:08:05 - 03:08:08 | Speaker 2:

He just came in and put headphones on. You got that right.

03:08:08 - 03:08:17 | Speaker 1:

03:08:42 - 03:08:46 | Speaker 3:

Mosas. Mosas. Wow, we have mosas. Good.

03:08:46 - 03:08:52 | Speaker 2:

Wait. Mimosas. Is that right? Mojo, are you okay? Oh, I thought you were laughing so hard.

03:08:52 - 03:08:57 | Speaker 3:

No, I was. It really is so tedious to have to say the whole word, mimosas.

03:08:57 - 03:09:02 | Speaker 1:

By the way, did you put that next to the calculator?

03:09:02 - 03:09:09 | Speaker 2:

calculator and nipple tickle were my favorites from today's show we had today's a good show to

03:09:09 - 03:09:49 | Speaker 1:

go back and listen to the podcast on all right we plan reese you stay there because cake is coming in here and uh in just a second for you as we uh celebrate reese's birthday we finally found out how old reese was i for some reason thought that he was so much younger than he was I thought he was, like, only going to be 25 today. He's actually 27. Reese, maybe this will happen to you. I'll have to get you some of these. Mega Millions jackpot reached an estimate $785 million Tuesday night, making it the fourth largest jackpot in Mega Millions history and the sixth largest lottery prize in the U.S.

03:09:49 - 03:09:57 | Speaker 2:

I think it went up. I think it just went up. Did it go up again? Because I think, yeah, next estimated jackpot, $940 million Friday.

03:09:57 - 03:09:59 | Speaker 1:

This is the same mod.

03:10:00 - 03:10:08 | Speaker 6:

lottery that just recently there were a couple winners that won big money off of it. Does this thing, do they do this all the time or what's the story with

03:10:08 - 03:10:16 | Speaker 2:

this? I don't know. You always talk about conspiracy theories and this is one where I'm always like, really?

03:10:16 - 03:10:22 | Speaker 6:

Nobody won? But I think they can't, I mean I don't think they can conspiracy theory this because there'd be too much, there'd be too many people looking at it.

03:10:23 - 03:10:27 | Speaker 5:

There's so many possible numbers, combinations to play, they just don't always get a winner.

03:10:28 - 03:10:31 | Speaker 6:

It seems like this happens more these days, though, than it ever did in the past.

03:10:31 - 03:10:31 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

03:10:32 - 03:10:33 | Speaker 6:

Where these things are...

03:10:33 - 03:10:34 | Speaker 2:

That it's close to a billion.

03:10:34 - 03:10:41 | Speaker 5:

They adjusted it like three years ago so that they wanted purposely to have less winners so there would be more bigger jackpots.

03:10:42 - 03:10:43 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay. I didn't know that.

03:10:43 - 03:10:56 | Speaker 5:

Because they were trying to differentiate from your local state lottery, which always has a winner, and the pots aren't as big. They said, let's make a difference. So if we're going to sell in the same places, it might be a different gambler that wants to go for the high-stake jackpot.

03:10:56 - 03:12:10 | Speaker 6:

but you might not have it's your odds aren't as good um i'm flying here in a couple of minutes and uh i didn't even know you could bring this on a plane but did you hear about the tsa worker who found gun parts and bullets hidden in a peanut butter jar at a flight that was taken off from jfk i didn't know that you could bring peanut butter on a plane i thought that that was one of the things that would like kind of like uh liquids seems like it should be because you can hide stuff in there the officers stopped the passenger after they noticed the peanut butter and then they started disassembling on the the package and found out that a disassembled 22 caliber handgun had been artfully concealed in a couple of uh unopened jars of peanut butter The parts had been wrapped in plastic and then put in the center of the jar. The gun magazine was loaded with bullets. TSA doesn't believe that the person was trying to do something on the plane, that this was just their way of trying to bring the plane on there. Why would they not just check that in their baggage? Right. Or at least check that. That's a lot of work to do, you know?

03:12:10 - 03:12:14 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. We've got a cake with candles lit coming into the studio.

03:12:14 - 03:12:20 | Speaker 6:

Happy birthday to you, Reese. Happy birthday to you.

03:12:20 - 03:12:21 | Speaker 3:

Happy birthday, Reese.

03:12:21 - 03:12:27 | Speaker 6:

Happy birthday, dear Reese. Happy birthday. To you. Happy birthday, Reese. Thank you very much.

03:12:27 - 03:12:28 | Speaker 5:

I appreciate it.

03:12:29 - 03:12:30 | Speaker 6:

You won. Hey.

03:12:31 - 03:12:32 | Speaker 5:

Reese. You blew it out.

03:12:33 - 03:12:44 | Speaker 6:

Hey, Reese. You know what that is? That is an edible cake. It's an edible cake. Eat that cake. He doesn't have his headphones on. That thing is loaded with all kinds of marijuana.

03:12:45 - 03:12:48 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. That whole cake. Please tell me you're lying.

03:12:48 - 03:12:54 | Speaker 6:

It is an edible cake. Yes. What? Yes. We got him. What is the design?

03:12:54 - 03:13:01 | Speaker 5:

All the chocolate on top is loaded. What? Yes. Now Megan's upset she didn't come for the party.

03:13:02 - 03:13:51 | Speaker 6:

I'm so upset. Speaking of that, here's the next story here in Trending News. More than 40% of human poison exposure calls to the U.S. poison centers in 2020 were children who accidentally were exposed to cannabis. They say that the numbers grew as more and more people started to do edibles during the pandemic year. And they found that a number of calls for the poison centers in 2021 and 2022 also grew. And they also found that a number of those calls were people that had their animals or their pets exposed to edibles. We had that happen to us. Remember when Jed left his little weed pen laying around?

03:13:52 - 03:13:52 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

03:13:52 - 03:13:53 | Speaker 6:

Cannabis-infused.

03:13:53 - 03:14:05 | Speaker 4:

03:15:11 - 03:15:16 | Speaker 3:

of trouble along the way. I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. Make it look

03:15:16 - 03:15:24 | Speaker 2:

more defined. They say it works. I don't know. Listen to Skyline Drive, How to Live Forever on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
