This is Mojo in the Morning. Mojo.

00:02:19 - 00:02:25 | Speaker 4:

Mojo. This is so tough. And the rocket's red glare.

00:02:28 - 00:02:29 | Speaker 1:

You're not being logical is what I'm saying.

00:02:29 - 00:02:32 | Speaker 2:

This is like an orgasm in a cup.

00:02:37 - 00:03:20 | Unknown:

Showtime. We'll be right back.

00:03:20 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 4:

mojo in the morning show good to have you guys here with us mojo spike shannon megan mike kp lydia we've got reese and katie all here today broadcasting live channel 955 in Detroit, 92.5 Kiss FM in Toledo, and 104.5 SNX in Grand Rapids, Muskegon. It's good to have you guys here. It is the Wednesday edition of the show, which means that we do five lies to tell your mom, phone scams, senseless surveys all this morning. The contests are good. We're giving away a bunch of concert tickets like Louis Tomlinson concert tickets, a chance for you to go see Taylor Swift. We've got that opportunity twice for you, 6.30 and 9.30. and then the big grocery contest where you can win $10,000 in free groceries. It was funny because yesterday I was walking in the hallway and I was having a conversation with one of the other program directors at one of the other stations, and he was just talking to me, and he had a little bit of prize envy. He was like, I'm listening to you on the way in. I go, oh, man, thanks a lot. I appreciate that. That's very nice of you. And he said, and I don't know how you guys get all these good prizes all the time. trips and cars and concert tickets and groceries my wife called me up right away and said they're giving away ten thousand dollars in groceries and i said uh i said you know what it's funny because you know anything can be given away and listen i've given away the smallest of prizes like beer koozies on the radio I'll see you later.

00:05:00 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 1:

to the biggest of prizes, a house, which was, like, the most amazing prize ever. And I still will never forget that we gave away a house at center court of a Pistons game, which was awesome. But then I think about this all the time. Like, I think sometimes we brush over the prizes that we give away. Like, a pair of tickets to go see the WWE SmackDown is not a small thing to a listener that is a fan of WWE SmackDown.

00:05:26 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 3:

No, it's actually really cool.

00:05:27 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 1:

It's a great event. And let me say this to you. Little Caesars Arena has more people in it for WWE SmackDown than they do for Pistons and Red Wings games. You know what I mean? So people go. They're fans. So sometimes we have to sit there and pat ourselves on the back.

00:05:41 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 3:

So pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat, pat.

00:05:43 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 1:

We're going to pat ourselves on the back for these. So keep listening. Thank you so much. And I hope that that adds to your enjoyment of listening to the radio show. I will say this. I think that we're going to have a couple of members of the show alive and alert today. Although they may crash and burn later just because they're not used to this. But I found out that Reese and KP yesterday went to bed drastically early. I mean, when I say drastically, they went to bed like in the after. Reese, what time did you go to bed? The moment I got back from work yesterday.

00:06:16 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 4:

So what time was that? I want to say it was about 1.32 p.m. Wait a second.

00:06:21 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 1:

What? 1.32 o'clock in the afternoon. And you slept until?

00:06:26 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 4:

Slept until 9 p.m., woke up really fast just to see if I could make a video, then fell back asleep while making the video, so then slept till 9 to my alarm this morning. Are you serious? How do you sleep eight hours and eight hours? I have no idea. I don't even have an answer. It's amazing.

00:06:43 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 2:

I'm really proud of you.

00:06:43 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 4:

I know.

00:06:44 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 2:

I'm kind of proud of myself. I would feel like a new human being. I could only wish that happened to me.

00:06:50 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 1:

You know what? You were 10 minutes early for the show today. Isn't that amazing?

00:06:54 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 2:

Reese walked in, and Mojo and I go, wait.

00:06:57 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 1:

I didn't know your key card worked that early.

00:06:59 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 2:

I thought they'd say it.

00:07:00 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 1:

By the way, they probably thought somebody actually was an intruder coming in here when that happened. That's amazing. Now, KP, I actually was sitting in the parking lot listening to something on the radio, and KP startled me this morning as she pulled in, and she jumps out of her car wide awake, because what time did you go to bed at last night?

00:07:19 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 3:

I went to bed at 5.30 yesterday. Oh, my gosh. And I woke up this morning at 4.30. It was an accident. Wow.

00:07:27 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 1:

You've got to see it. I know. Yeah. Man, that's unbelievable. So how do you feel this morning?

00:07:34 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 3:

Well, I feel fine physically, but mentally, I'm like, wow, I feel like I was just here. Because it came from work to actually. Go to work to work? I was supposed to go to a car appointment, and I realized that it was actually scheduled for Thursday. So I think my sleep, my nap was just like me being upset. I'm just going to sleep it off

00:07:53 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 1:

Did you show up at the car appointment And found out it wasn't Well that's wild I have to ask the question of our listeners What is the longest That you've ever slept When I hear this Of sleeping 16 hours Is that what it was Spike The math on Reese 16 hours I've slept over 24 before Why does that not That surprised me. You slept over 24 hours?

00:08:23 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 4:

That's not sleep, that's a coma.

00:08:25 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 2:

Well, it felt nice. Did you take something to sleep? No, no. Were you zooted? Nope. Oh. No, I was probably like 16 or 17, and I slept for like 24 hours straight. Oh, my gosh. Isn't it funny? I've said this before. This is like one of my dreams. Like, this is a bucket list for me. I don't know. This might sound super unhealthy. I dream of a day when I can take a sleeping pill, which I've only ever done once in my life, and it was after I had LASIK surgery. They made me take it, so I would keep my eyes shut. I just want to go home on a Friday, take a sleeping pill, and see how long I can sleep. That sounds like a dream day to me.

00:08:57 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 1:

That's a mom dream if I ever heard one.

00:08:59 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 2:

A mom dream come true.

00:09:00 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. You know, it's funny that, you know, Megan talks about when she was 17 because I always joke that whenever I fall asleep on a Friday night and wake up on Saturday and get, like, nine hours sleep, like, sometimes that will happen. I go, I feel like a teenager again. Yeah. I feel like, cause that was it. Like I, I, when I was a teenager, man, I would, I would go to bed at probably like three in the morning or four in the morning. And I would wake up sometimes at four or five in the evening, you know, I'd sleep the entire day, which was, uh, which was awesome. My dad would go, is that all he does is sleep? No, no, he eats too. Uh, but it's funny. Um, when you have that, Reese, are you starving this morning?

00:09:39 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 4:

I'm starving this morning. Yeah.

00:09:41 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, because when you fall asleep and you sleep for that long of a period of time, you want to have, like, a feast. You're, like, get so hungry. I will say this to both of you guys. You're going to get tired. About halfway through the show, you're going to end up lying. You're going to go, wait a second. I thought I would have slept all that much because I think your body all of a sudden is.

00:10:00 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 2:

Not used to all the action that you guys are going to be doing during the show. What's up, Wendy? How long did you sleep?

00:10:07 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 4:

I slept 25 hours. Oh, my God. Wow. I was a brand-new nurse working night shifts, and I got home. I worked a 12-hour shift. I got home. I went to bed at 8 o'clock in the morning, and my husband woke me up at 9 o'clock the following morning just to make sure I was still alive. Wow.

00:10:26 - 00:10:31 | Speaker 2:

Wow. I would have probably woke you up sooner than that because I would be so worried that something happened to you.

00:10:32 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 4:

Well, he was working long shifts, too, so he wasn't there. Okay.

00:10:35 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:10:36 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:10:36 - 00:10:39 | Speaker 2:

How did you feel when you woke up from a 25-hour sleep?

00:10:40 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 4:

I felt terrible. I didn't even feel rested. I think my body was just so exhausted. My body didn't know if I was supposed to be awake or still sleeping. It was terrible.

00:10:48 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 3:

Isn't it funny? No part of me wants to sleep that much. Yeah. No part of me. Not even a little bit.

00:10:53 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 2:

You know what I had happen to me yesterday, Wendy? So I was exhausted, too. You know what it is? It's just getting back from the holidays, and we normally don't have the, you know, we're not used to the hours yet. It takes a few weeks to get used to waking up so early. I told Chelsea, I said, I'm going to fall asleep for just a little bit. I fell asleep, and I woke up at 5.23 p.m. thinking it's 5.23 a.m., And I jumped off of my couch where I was and ran to go to the bathroom, to go to the shower, to jump in and quickly try to get here before 6 o'clock, before we sign on the air.

00:11:37 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 1:

I hate that.

00:11:38 - 00:11:50 | Speaker 2:

To only have Chelsea run in and go, what's the matter? Because she's never seen me run so fast because I got up so fast. It's just like, oh, my God, are you okay? She thought I was, like, sick and running to the bathroom.

00:11:51 - 00:11:56 | Speaker 4:

Right? You can't basically work night shift like I do because you don't get up so early so your body just gets confused.

00:11:57 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 2:

That is the worst feeling in the world, too, isn't it? When that happens, I feel like I was going to have a heart attack trying to catch myself because we're so worried that we're going to be late for the show. And it's dark then, too. Yeah, you feel like you're behind the whole day. Mike, you're right. It's awful. By the way, Mike, how you doing? How's Milo feeling?

00:12:15 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 3:

He's fine. He was at the tail end of something. My wife is always the one that takes the day off to be with him. So I decided to give her a break. Good for you.

00:12:22 - 00:12:33 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, we'll talk more about Mike had some interesting things happen to him yesterday when he was home with Milo. What's up, Tom? Yeah, hey, how's it going, guys? What's going on, buddy? How long did you sleep?

00:12:34 - 00:12:38 | Speaker 5:

18 hours after my COVID booster. Oh, really? Wow.

00:12:39 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 2:

Knocked you out? Yeah.

00:12:40 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. It was brutal. I passed out on the couch. Wife finally decided to wake me up with dinner. I said, what day is it?

00:12:50 - 00:13:00 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I remember it made me really tired too Just the whole weekend I just laid around on the couch And it was bad because then My girlfriend made me watch all these horrible Halloween movies that she likes

00:13:00 - 00:13:03 | Speaker 2:

And then that made you fall asleep again or what? Yeah, I just go right back to sleep

00:13:03 - 00:13:08 | Speaker 1:

I'm doing it with four girls Oh no, how did you sleep?

00:13:09 - 00:13:12 | Speaker 2:

Jamie, more than 25 hours How long did you sleep?

00:13:13 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 6:

I slept for just over two days Oh

00:13:16 - 00:13:19 | Speaker 2:

What was up? Were you sick or something?

00:13:19 - 00:13:39 | Speaker 6:

No, it was when I was an older teenager I had a sleeping problem Where I couldn't fall asleep So I was prescribed Seroquel As a sleeping medication And I took an extra one that night And woke up in my bed two days later Wow

00:13:39 - 00:13:43 | Speaker 2:

Did you have to go back and ask people What happened over those two days?

00:13:43 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 6:

Who's president?

00:13:45 - 00:13:47 | Speaker 2:

Did anything monumental happen that you missed?

00:13:48 - 00:13:59 | Speaker 6:

Well, my mom said that I did get up out of bed and, like, use the bathroom. But she said I didn't say anything, and I looked like I was asleep, like I wasn't.

00:13:59 - 00:14:13 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, because I would assume that your body needs to do something, right, over that period of time that you'd probably have to go to the bathroom. Yeah, I guess. Do you wake up thirsty? I wake up sometimes if I sleep really long with cotton mouth.

00:14:13 - 00:14:29 | Speaker 6:

yeah i well i'm already like thirsty all the time as it is i drink a lot of water and i woke up starving and so dry like my eyes were dry my nose my mouth like it's so dry you know what you should

00:14:29 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 2:

you should uh weigh yourself after that and and see what your height is because they say that you you grow the longer you sleep the more that you lose weight and grow believe it or not in your sleep oh crap yeah that's what i did um all right well uh we've got uh we've got to get some food in here reese for you and in uh kp it's funny because kp actually sent me a note i was surprised by this too with you that i didn't get one from you

00:15:00 - 00:15:13 | Speaker 5:

She's like, if you're going to Starbucks, can you get me a coffee? I'm thinking to myself, okay, because she's tired. She works a lot between this and doing her air shifts and stuff like that. She slept for how many hours there, and you needed a coffee this morning? Why did you need a coffee to wake up?

00:15:14 - 00:15:18 | Speaker 1:

Because my body was so tired. I'm like, I need coffee today.

00:15:18 - 00:15:21 | Speaker 5:

Isn't that wild? All right. Well, let's get the show started. Here we go.

00:15:22 - 00:15:27 | Speaker 4:

I do my job.

00:17:39 - 00:17:45 | Speaker 5:

All right. I like that. By the way, you are very talkative this morning. You're tired, aren't you?

00:17:46 - 00:17:47 | Speaker 2:

Yes, very tired.

00:17:47 - 00:17:52 | Speaker 5:

All right, well, get your information and then go to bed and try to have, like, one of those Reese or KP sleeps.

00:17:54 - 00:17:56 | Speaker 2:

I wish. I have to take a few melatonins.

00:17:56 - 00:18:08 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. Melatonin doesn't do anything for me. Melatonin, for me, is like Flintstone vitamins. You know what I mean? I, like, take it, and I'm like, all right, I think I'm healthier, but whatever. Have a great morning.

00:18:08 - 00:18:09 | Speaker 2:

I feel like it's hit or miss.

00:18:09 - 00:18:35 | Speaker 5:

That's HERO, text that to 95500, standard text and data rates do apply.

00:18:36 - 00:18:38 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:18:38 - 00:18:59 | Speaker 5:

Shannon and I was checking out Instagram last night before I went to bed, and I was very worried about Megan because she was reading the new Harry book, and she was very sad, she said. She said she was sobbing after how many pages, Megan?

00:18:59 - 00:19:00 | Speaker 1:

Less than 50.

00:19:00 - 00:19:10 | Speaker 5:

Less than 50, so I actually checked in with her to make sure that she was okay and tried to reassure her that Harry's going to be okay. He lives in a mansion in Montecito, California.

00:19:10 - 00:19:25 | Speaker 1:

Okay, before you make fun of me, because you don't know what I was crying about, he goes into, like, crazy detail of what it was like to experience his mother's funeral in front of cameras. And it's really, really gut-wrenching. It's hard to read.

00:19:26 - 00:19:29 | Speaker 5:

How many pages have you gotten so far? Is it the 50 or more?

00:19:29 - 00:19:35 | Speaker 1:

No, I'm, like, I want to say, like, 125 pages. Wow. It's 400 pages. Yeah.

00:19:35 - 00:19:37 | Speaker 5:

You are smart

00:19:37 - 00:20:00 | Speaker 1:

I wanted to read the whole thing yesterday I got busy I was really upset Because I know today Everybody's going to be talking about it And it's really frustrating When these morning shows or these television shows Talk about the entirety of the book When normal people Got through a portion of it I feel like we've talked about so much already One of my girlfriends actually took the day off of work yesterday To binge the whole thing

00:20:00 - 00:21:28 | Speaker 6:

To actually sit and read the whole thing. But it is official. Prince Harry's publisher claims that Spare is the fastest-selling nonfiction book of all time. Sold, I'm giving kind of conflicting figures, conflicting numbers, but apparently more than 400,000 copies in its first day across hardcover, e-book, audio formats. The publisher's managing director was doing interviews last night, and I heard him say something to the effect of, the only books to have sold more in their first day are those starring the other Harry, and that's Harry Potter. So, it's doing well. A year after the Golden Globes, when un-televised and without celebrities in attendance, amid a scandal over its lack of diversity, the show returned to NBC last night in an attempt to restore its reputation. I don't know if it did that. Okay. The big winners, Abbott Elementary, House of the Dragon, The Banshees of Inner Shin, and The Fablemans. Austin Butler winning Best Actor in a Drama for Elvis. Angela Bassett became the first star to win a major acting award for a Marvel movie when she picked up Best Supporting Actress for Wakanda Forever. Steven Spielberg won for his autobiographical drama The Fablemans, which also picked up Best Picture. and White Lotus star Jennifer Coolidge also picking up a trophy, praising the writer of the series for changing her life for the better.

00:21:29 - 00:21:42 | Speaker 5:

You sort of changed my life in a million different ways, and my neighbors are speaking to me, things like that. And I mean it, none of those people, I was never invited to one party on my hill, and now everyone's inviting me.

00:21:42 - 00:21:51 | Speaker 6:

The Mega Millions Prize has grown again to $1.35 billion after there was no winner last night.

00:21:51 - 00:21:56 | Speaker 4:

Let's see if I can make you a billionaire tonight. Our first winning number tonight is 15. That's all about it.

00:21:56 - 00:22:05 | Speaker 6:

So if you take the cash payout for now Friday night's drawing, you'll get an estimated $707.9 million in your bank account.

00:22:05 - 00:22:07 | Speaker 3:

This, by the way, is getting ridiculous.

00:22:08 - 00:22:09 | Speaker 6:

Dude, the gas stations yesterday.

00:22:10 - 00:22:11 | Speaker 3:

Unbelievable.

00:22:11 - 00:22:16 | Speaker 6:

I actually needed to get gas, but it was so crazy. I'm like, never mind.

00:22:16 - 00:22:17 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Never mind.

00:22:17 - 00:22:18 | Speaker 6:

I'll do it in the morning.

00:22:18 - 00:22:29 | Speaker 3:

A lot of people, like, just going in and running in. They say that, believe it or not, that a lot of the retailers like this because it gets people to get out of their cars and go in to the gas stations.

00:22:29 - 00:22:31 | Speaker 6:

And pick up something else when they're getting a ticket.

00:22:31 - 00:22:35 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, hopefully a Mountain Dew or something's in their hands. Slim Jims.

00:22:36 - 00:22:36 | Unknown:

Oh, yes.

00:22:37 - 00:23:34 | Speaker 6:

Buffalo Bill star Damar Hamlin revealing he's passing all of his medical tests at Buffalo General Hospital. He was moved from the ICU in Cincinnati to Buffalo on Monday, if you missed that. yesterday he said quote not home quite just yet still doing and passing a bunch of tests special thank you to buffalo general it's been nothing but love since arrival keep me all in y'all prayers please number three strong and doctors remain optimistic about his progress and if you heard those rumors of a beyonce britney spears collab it was true i say was because it's not happening apparently beyonce asked britney to appear in a new music video but the collaboration ultimately fell through. Don't know why, I just know that it did. Now, the ladies have worked together before, so this wouldn't be the first time. If you remember way back in 2004, they did Queen's song We Will Rock You in a Pepsi commercial with Pink. I think Enrique Iglesias was also in that commercial, but that's not happening.

00:23:34 - 00:23:48 | Speaker 3:

By the way, that song that you played yesterday during This Dirty from Miley Cyrus, we're world debuting tomorrow on this station. So be listening tomorrow for that. And we'll see if it really does sound like that Bruno Mars song.

00:23:48 - 00:23:56 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, yeah. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on the DirtyMorning.com. You just can't find the right companion. I guess when you have one.

00:23:56 - 00:24:00 | Speaker 2:

Get the stories you'll talk about all day on Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:24:02 - 00:24:04 | Speaker 1:

And another phone scan in minutes.

00:24:05 - 00:24:14 | Speaker 2:

It's time for an official government survey. It's Mojo in the Morning's Sinsless Survey. Hello. Hello, ma'am. How are you?

00:24:14 - 00:24:15 | Unknown:

Who's this?

00:24:15 - 00:24:23 | Speaker 2:

I'm calling from an independent survey. It'll just take about 30 seconds. I hate telemarketers. You know, I'm just a person trying to make a living in a really tough economy.

00:24:23 - 00:24:27 | Speaker 1:

All right, go ahead. You ask me a question? Here's a deal. You ask me a question, I'll ask you a question.

00:24:27 - 00:24:30 | Speaker 2:

You're very angry for this early in the morning.

00:24:30 - 00:24:32 | Speaker 1:

Well, I'm cutting up fruit right now. I'm very busy.

00:24:32 - 00:24:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I'll let you get to that. I'll just have a couple quick questions for you then.

00:24:36 - 00:24:42 | Speaker 1:

Okay, let's get this over with. I will do this for you just to make you happy because one time I was a telemarketer and I sold carpet cleaning.

00:24:42 - 00:24:51 | Speaker 2:

Have you ever met a choosy mother that didn't choose Jif? No, I don't want Jif. In a standard deck of cards, which would be considered the race card?

00:24:51 - 00:24:53 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that would be probably an ace.

00:24:53 - 00:24:57 | Speaker 2:

An ace, okay. Is there wind beneath your wings or only in your shorts?

00:24:58 - 00:25:00 | Speaker 1:

I can't believe I'm wasting my time.

00:25:00 - 00:25:05 | Speaker 4:

talking to you we only have three questions left after eating do amphibians have to wait one hour

00:25:05 - 00:25:17 | Speaker 5:

before getting out of the water no because people don't even have to wait to get in at the fallacy you're better off swimming after you eat because that way you don't get hungry okay what's your next question because i really have to hurry up i'm sorry i can tell you really

00:25:17 - 00:25:22 | Speaker 4:

have to go uh what's the name of your garage band actually right now i can't even stand in my garage

00:25:22 - 00:25:34 | Speaker 5:

there's so much stuff in my garage right now oh boy my sister bought these uh containers things I bought these flower pots or some goofy thing. I had to drive them home, and now they're in my garage.

00:25:35 - 00:25:39 | Speaker 4:

And just the final two questions. When's the last time you had a haircut that made you cry?

00:25:40 - 00:25:43 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that's when I was in high school.

00:25:43 - 00:25:46 | Speaker 4:

When you look at a map, shouldn't the Midwest actually be a little more to the left?

00:25:48 - 00:25:55 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, actually, probably. I never thought of it, though. So when I teach my class, should I tell them that it really should be a little more to the left?

00:25:55 - 00:26:02 | Speaker 4:

Oh, are you a teacher, ma'am? Yeah. Then this would be a perfect question for you. Would you support selling alcohol in high schools for students who are over 21?

00:26:03 - 00:26:05 | Speaker 5:

I don't support alcohol at all anyway.

00:26:05 - 00:26:08 | Speaker 4:

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you think you'll like the next question?

00:26:09 - 00:26:14 | Speaker 5:

Probably a negative 10, minus 10. Ask me how much I like you.

00:26:14 - 00:26:21 | Speaker 4:

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you like me? Keeping in mind, we really have only known each other for about a minute and a half.

00:26:21 - 00:26:23 | Speaker 5:

Well, first of all, you're really annoying.

00:26:23 - 00:26:42 | Speaker 4:

But all you're doing is cutting fruit. You didn't have 30 seconds to give me for the survey. Your friend has a cat that talks?

00:26:42 - 00:26:43 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:26:43 - 00:26:51 | Speaker 4:

What does that have to do with the price of apples in China? Well, now you're being judgmental. I don't like it.

00:26:51 - 00:26:52 | Speaker 5:

Am I done?

00:26:52 - 00:26:54 | Speaker 4:

All right, you take care of yourself. I'll talk to you tomorrow.

00:26:55 - 00:27:00 | Speaker 5:

It would be great if you could hang up the phone before I do because...

00:27:00 - 00:27:03 | Speaker 4:

No, you hang up. You hang up first. No, you hang up.

00:27:03 - 00:27:04 | Speaker 5:

All right. Goodbye.

00:27:04 - 00:27:06 | Speaker 4:

No, you hang up.

00:27:09 - 00:27:18 | Speaker 1:

I'm always amazed, Spike, because I'm sitting here with my mic off and stuff going, when are they going to hang up? When are they going to hang up? When are they going to hang up? Yeah. All right. Senseless survey.

00:27:19 - 00:27:27 | Speaker 2:

What more senseless surveys? Here in the podcast at mojointhemorning.com. It's Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55.

00:27:27 - 00:27:32 | Speaker 3:

5 at 6.55, yo. 5 at 6.55, yo.

00:27:32 - 00:27:43 | Speaker 1:

Ethan, I got a question for you. You're going for your 12th win today. At any point, have you been nervous doing this? Like, where you were worried, uh-oh, I think I'm going to lose this one.

00:27:44 - 00:27:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's been a few days. I mean, you guys have given me some steep competition here.

00:27:48 - 00:27:50 | Speaker 2:

We really have. They've been really great competitors.

00:27:51 - 00:27:56 | Speaker 1:

Who are you most worried to play, though? Be honest and make her feel good. Yes, yes.

00:27:56 - 00:27:59 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I can't beat her on a tie, so I mean. That's true.

00:27:59 - 00:28:00 | Speaker 1:

That's true. That's true.

00:28:01 - 00:28:02 | Speaker 2:

And you've done that a few times.

00:28:02 - 00:28:09 | Speaker 1:

Your challenger is Janet. Say hello to Janet, who is from Fastoria, Ohio. Is that right?

00:28:10 - 00:28:11 | Speaker 5:

That's right, Fastoria.

00:28:11 - 00:28:12 | Speaker 1:

How you doing?

00:28:13 - 00:28:14 | Speaker 5:

I'm ready to play.

00:28:15 - 00:28:19 | Speaker 1:

Are you ready to beat this guy today? Are you going to make him nervous today, make him poop his pants?

00:28:19 - 00:28:20 | Speaker 3:

I'm ready to try.

00:28:21 - 00:29:17 | Speaker 1:

All right, let's see what happens here. I'm going to lock him up in a soundproof area. Goodbye, Ethan. Hello, Janet. Janet, we're going to ask you five questions. They are all pop culture related. You might have heard some of them in the Dirty on the 30. And if you get the most right, you win. If you tie, tie goes to Ethan. Question number one. 00:29:30 - 00:29:48 | Speaker 1:

And question number five, actor Bryan Cranston revealed in an interview that he lost his virginity to a prostitute. Cranston played Walter White in which hit drama series? Breaking Bad. Let's bring the champ back from a soundproof area where he's going to be shocked to find this out.

00:29:48 - 00:29:56 | Speaker 4:

00:29:56 - 00:30:56 | Speaker 1:

Actor Bryan Cranston revealed in an interview that he lost his virginity to a prostitute. Cranston played Walter White in which hit drama series? Well, enjoy that prize, because that's freaking bad. He's good. Ethan has just won 12 in a row. Congratulations to you, buddy. Man, oh man, I don't know. I said that five out of five was going to take him down, but we've had multiple times where five out of five just got him another win. I don't know. Yeah? What's that? Not making it easy on me. Not making it easy on you. I think that we're going to have to go really hard with the questions. We might have to – honestly, it might have to be like a one-to-nothing game or something like that, like, you know, one of those boring shutout-type victories or something. So we'll see what happens. You're going for 13 tomorrow. Will that be a lucky or unlucky number for you? We'll find out, okay? All right, thank you. I'm liking him as our champion. We're going to set you up with a prize too, Janet. Thanks for listening. Appreciate you. Thanks. I'll be back. Bye. Take care. It's Mojo in the Mornings 5 at 6.55. This is Mojo in the Morning, live. 00:35:14 - 00:35:15 | Speaker 4:

Yes yes

00:35:15 - 00:35:19 | Speaker 2:

You're going to have to do some really good acting on this one Do you have anything you can put in your mouth or

00:35:19 - 00:35:26 | Speaker 4:

I do actually I'm going to throw some I'm going to throw some gauze and cotton rolls in there Oh that is perfect

00:35:26 - 00:35:29 | Speaker 2:

I'm actually at Sarah's house, so I need you to pick me up or dad or whoever. So me and Alyssa, we're playing around with some Novocaine and laughing gas at work. and um that's why my mouth is like um I'm now and I'm just feeling not too good okay um and so I hate to say it but Renee my boss she caught me and um I just got fired from work and they asked me to leave immediately, so I had to go to Sarah's house. Well, why the hell would you do that? I don't know. I know. I know it's really stupid. I don't. We were just, me and Alyssa, we were just being dumb. Well, how could you be dumb, Alexis?

00:37:10 - 00:37:12 | Speaker 4:

I mean, you're 28 years old.

00:37:14 - 00:37:30 | Speaker 3:

I'm so sorry. I'm just I just am not, you know, the laughing gas made me feel weird and stuff, and it's been a while since I've had it. I don't know. We were just trying out the anesthetics at work, and I don't know.

00:37:30 - 00:37:34 | Speaker 4:

Why would you, I mean, is this the first time you've tried it or no?

00:37:35 - 00:38:14 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I haven't had it since, like, five years ago when I got my wisdom teeth taken out. Okay, I know that. So then what possessed you to do it at work? I mean, you were that bored? Yeah, we didn't really have any patients this morning, so we didn't really have anything to do. Well, did you know you could be risking your job? I guess I wasn't really thinking. So what the hell are you going to end up doing now? I don't know. I'm probably going to have to look for another job. Oh, my God.

00:38:16 - 00:38:20 | Speaker 2:

The sigh or the grunting sigh is a mom sigh.

00:38:21 - 00:38:23 | Speaker 4:

And it's not a good sigh.

00:38:23 - 00:38:24 | Speaker 2:

No, it's not a good sigh.

00:38:26 - 00:38:27 | Speaker 3:

It's a disappointment sigh.

00:38:28 - 00:38:29 | Speaker 2:

00:39:27 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 2:

mojo in the morning ciao do you ever get caught in like a blatant lie ever that happened to you i got one yeah happened to me yesterday i gotta thank my wife for this one so i uh was blatantly lying to someone and i was supposed to meet my buddy peter

00:40:00 - 00:41:23 | Speaker 1:

but, uh, told him that I had a work meeting that I was running late for, um, you see Peter and I were supposed to, uh, work out. We were going to, we're doing this thing now. And the start of the year, we're going to like try to work out on Tuesdays and Thursdays together. So I sent him like a running late in a work meeting right now. Don't know how soon I can get there. And then wrote back just a few minutes after not hearing from him and said, I'm really sorry, but this is going longer than I thought it would go, only to find him text me back saying, oh, don't worry about it. Chelsea told me that you're having lunch with your friend Vince at Heroes. I know that that's a little bit of a distance from Planet Fitness, so don't worry about it. So Chelsea had contacted him, or they were talking about something, talking about something that he needed an answer for, and said, yeah, I don't think Tom's going to be there. Tom went out to lunch with his friend Vince. By the way, have you ever been to Heroes before? No, I've never even heard of it. I might have mentioned this before on the air, and if I haven't, I know I've talked to friends about this. It is a place that has been around for eons. You can drive by it and not even know it's there. It's in Waterford off of, what is it, Telegraph Road or whatever they call it there.

00:41:23 - 00:41:23 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:41:24 - 00:42:37 | Speaker 1:

M59, I think it is. and um it's got the greatest food ever and it's like one of those places it was like a bar like good bar food and stuff i've eaten there numerous times but i've always eaten there with people that worked in oakland county like i ate there years and years and years ago with the legend l brooks patterson and then i have eaten there before with sheriff bouchard and stuff so it's really cool but on a tangent and i'm just trying to get out of this whole thing but i got totally busted on this And I want to know exactly, I want to know exactly, you know, if there's any other listeners that have got busted in a lie like that, where somebody said something and told somebody something, you'll have to call us up, big or small, we'll take it all. I love this story, too. I'm going to tell this story just to kind of see if I can kill time if we get calls. Did you hear the story about the mom who couldn't get her 11-year-old daughter to answer her phone? So what did this Chicago mom do? She ended up going where her daughter was, and she went on Roblox, and she ended up contacting her daughter on Roblox to tell her to defrost the lasagna and take it out of the freezer.

00:42:38 - 00:42:40 | Speaker 2:

This is genius. Go, mom.

00:42:41 - 00:43:24 | Speaker 1:

Cha-Cha Watson knew exactly how to make sure that the lasagna got defrosted. So she found her daughter on Roblox. The Chicago mom told the Today Show that she loves to spend quality time with her 11-year-old daughter, Miracle, on the online game platform, which they've been doing together for years. Well, when she knew that she couldn't get a hold of her daughter because her daughter wasn't answering her phone, what did mom do? She took resilience to the next level. And she ended up going on the game system, and she actually typed in for her, go to the freezer. Actually, she said, take the lasagna out of the freezer and garlic bread so I can cook it. That's what she said.

00:43:24 - 00:43:27 | Speaker 2:

Meet them where they are. That's her character. That's the way to do it.

00:43:27 - 00:43:37 | Speaker 1:

I love this one. Her character's name is Imani. So that was her character's name in Roblox. Which, by the way, I've never played, and we talk about this, that we have our iHeartland.

00:43:38 - 00:43:38 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

00:43:38 - 00:44:24 | Speaker 1:

Whenever my kids aren't into Roblox, they're not into that at all. Like Luke's more into like Madden and video games and stuff like that and killing people on Grand Theft Auto and things. But whenever I hear them talk about this, like iHeart will say, you need to promote this and talk about it. I'm like, dude, I have no idea what I'm talking about when I'm talking about this. Like I am in a different world when I'm talking about this. But I like the idea that I can get in contact. If I had young kids, that's what I would do. because there's so many times where Luke's on his game system and I thought to myself, oh my god, I should have a game system upstairs, like a PS5 upstairs, so I can get on the game system and say, stop swearing so much. We can hear you

00:44:24 - 00:44:37 | Speaker 3:

in the kitchen. Did you ever read Ready Player One? No. We were just talking about this yesterday. This gives me very Ready Player One where eventually we're just going to all live. Yes, I literally said the same thing to Spike after the show yesterday.

00:44:38 - 00:44:49 | Speaker 2:

We were talking about something totally different, But I'm like, it reminds me of Ready Player Wine. Like, there's no real, quote unquote, real life conversation anymore. It's all moving to just technology.

00:44:49 - 00:44:57 | Speaker 1:

I got a feeling that kids are going to, this is, I'm throwing this out there, that kids are going to have a hard time communicating later in life because of this.

00:44:58 - 00:44:58 | Speaker 3:

Oh, for sure.

00:44:59 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 1:

I mean, I think that there's going to be.

00:45:00 - 00:45:04 | Speaker 8:

a point where it's like face-to-face like you're not you know and maybe this this could be the

00:45:04 - 00:45:19 | Speaker 2:

cause of anxiety uh for a lot of kids too is it gonna be difficulty or just a difference because i i think that back in the day people would have said up text messaging gunner it ruined people's lives but i talked to people more than i ever would have in the past without it good point

00:45:19 - 00:45:45 | Speaker 8:

it's just different i although i want my i want my uh you know son to have to get to get me a daughter-in-law or son-in-law and not a virtual daughter-in-law or virtual son-in-law you know less cooking less clean that is true take the lasagna out i love that by the way i have a taste for lasagna get me a stouffer's big frozen lasagna my daughter plays some game where

00:45:45 - 00:45:52 | Speaker 1:

they cook on the game but i can't get her to cook in real life katie what's going on we're

00:45:52 - 00:45:57 | Speaker 8:

talking about uh getting caught in lies and then of course this one here you know uh if you can't

00:45:57 - 00:46:29 | Speaker 5:

beat him join him what's happening so it wasn't with me but it was with my husband he was going over a sense report for this girl that worked for him and he's like oh so you took this client out two months that day he's like yeah he's like well that's funny because i was with the client at the same time so what are the odds so what she was doing on her expense report was saying that she was taking these clients out but really she was taking her husband out oh my god that's wow that

00:46:29 - 00:46:36 | Speaker 8:

that's a bust right there uh wow lisa thank you for the call what's up uh i'm sorry uh this you're

00:46:36 - 00:47:14 | Speaker 6:

lisa hi lisa hi how you doing oh great how are you guys we love you first time first time got through to you oh thank you love you too so um my boyfriend at the time he's now my husband we were driving around and talking and i said you know oh what'd you do for lunch today and he said oh i went to taco bell i was like oh okay and literally we're approaching the taco bell that he said he went to and it was demolished to the ground and i said oh that taco bell right there And he's like, oh, he didn't want me to know he went to the bar for lunch at the time.

00:47:15 - 00:47:36 | Speaker 8:

That's hysterical. Oh, my God. There's so many times where I've had Chelsea bust me because she'll say, where are you? And I'll tell her I'm further ahead in my car than I actually am. And she's like, I can hear the hallway noise at the radio station. Marissa? Yeah, Carissa. Carissa, I apologize. What's going on?

00:47:37 - 00:47:54 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah, I just wanted to mention that when I need to get a hold of my daughter and she's not answering her phone, which I freak out, I will go on the PlayStation app on my Android phone and message her on the PlayStation and tell her, you better text me right now. Wow, so similar to this mom.

00:47:54 - 00:47:56 | Speaker 8:

That's great. Yeah.

00:47:56 - 00:47:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, absolutely. You got to do what you got to do, whatever it takes.

00:48:00 - 00:48:04 | Speaker 8:

Right. I get enough bills. Do you get enough bills of your kids buying things on PlayStation?

00:48:05 - 00:48:10 | Speaker 3:

Well, she's older now. But still, she won't answer her phone sometimes, so you got to do what you got to do.

00:48:10 - 00:48:15 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. What's going on, Kennedy? Hi, Kennedy.

00:48:16 - 00:48:17 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, hi.

00:48:17 - 00:48:21 | Speaker 8:

Hi. How do you communicate with your kids to tell them to take out the lasagna?

00:48:22 - 00:48:35 | Speaker 4:

Oh, not lasagna, though. When I'm trying to reach out to my kids when I'm at work and they're home and not picking up their phone, I have Alexa back in the room. So I do a drop-in. Oh, that's smart.

00:48:35 - 00:48:40 | Speaker 8:

Wait. Have you ever done that in something that maybe you caught him doing?

00:48:41 - 00:48:41 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:48:42 - 00:48:43 | Speaker 8:

What did you catch him doing?

00:48:43 - 00:48:47 | Speaker 4:

It has camera, too, though. Yes. So, you know. You can see everything happening.

00:48:47 - 00:48:51 | Speaker 8:

How old are your kids before I ask this question?

00:48:51 - 00:48:51 | Speaker 4:

16 and 16.

00:48:52 - 00:48:55 | Speaker 8:

Oh, my God. Could you imagine if you got in on there and your 16-year-old was in there with somebody?

00:48:57 - 00:48:59 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no, he can't. He's not allowed to.

00:49:00 - 00:49:08 | Speaker 8:

I know. Listen, have you ever heard our feature called Six on Sex? A lot of kids weren't allowed to do things, and they ended up doing them.

00:49:09 - 00:49:12 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I don't think my 16-year-old is doing that now, though.

00:49:13 - 00:49:16 | Speaker 8:

I would unplug Alexa if that was the case at that moment.

00:49:17 - 00:49:18 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I will, too, though.

00:49:18 - 00:49:21 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. Thank you for the call. What's up, Julie?

00:49:23 - 00:50:24 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, so when I was in college, I was dating a guy. I can use their first names, right? Yeah. Okay, so I was dating this guy named Rob, and I really was not wanting to date him anymore but didn't have the guts to break up and then there was a guy that lived near my sister whose name was Ron and he liked me but I did not care for him at all I thought he was obnoxious so I got a phone call I thought he said it was Rob my boyfriend and he said what are you doing on Friday or this weekend and I was like oh I'm going to my sister's, so, you know, I can't go out. And he was like, no, you're not. And I'm like, how do you know I'm not going to? He says, this is Ron. And so it was the obnoxious guy. Oh, no. And I decided to go out on a date with him because he knew I wasn't actually going to be at my sister's. And it was the worst blind date ever. I'm more obnoxious than I thought he would be.

00:50:25 - 00:50:32 | Speaker 4:

That's why you got to be careful and you don't, you know, date people with similar type names. or you've got to listen closer. Excuse me, can you say that word? Spell it.

00:50:32 - 00:50:32 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

00:50:33 - 00:50:36 | Speaker 4:

Thank you for the call. Have a great day, okay?

00:50:37 - 00:50:38 | Speaker 7:

You, too. Love you, guys.

00:50:38 - 00:50:40 | Speaker 4:

All right, we love you, too. All right, Mojo in the Morning Show.

00:50:41 - 00:50:53 | Speaker 5:

Hey, I'd cheat on me, too. It's the world-famous War of the Roses. Happens tomorrow at 7.05 and 9.05 on Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:50:53 - 00:50:58 | Speaker 4:

All right, we'll get you caught up on what's trending right now in the Dirty on the 30. Shannon, what do you got?

00:50:58 - 00:51:30 | Speaker 3:

Well, the Golden Globe Awards were slammed as boring and way too political by viewers upon the show's return to TV last night. The embattled Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which puts on the Globes, had hoped it would be a fresh start after it essentially overhauled its organization following all of those allegations of racism over the past year or two. It was a snooze fest, man. If you tuned in, you'd probably agree with me. The show's host, comedian Jared Carmichael, dived right into the controversy as he kicked off the show with his monologue.

00:51:31 - 00:51:32 | Speaker 2:

I'm here because I'm black.

00:51:33 - 00:51:47 | Speaker 3:

The show was also plagued with extremely lengthy speeches by award winners. Everybody was, like, ignoring the musical prompts. Isn't this every single award show for the last ten years? Too long, too boring, too political. It was bad.

00:51:48 - 00:51:49 | Speaker 4:

The Golden Globes used to be good, though, remember?

00:51:49 - 00:51:55 | Speaker 3:

It's my favorite. When Amy Poehler and Tina Fey would host. They would sit and drink a lot of people.

00:51:55 - 00:52:01 | Speaker 4:

I think they were too afraid. I think it got so woke that people fell asleep. You know what I mean?

00:52:01 - 00:52:04 | Speaker 6:

Did they get woke or could Gervais host today? No.

00:52:04 - 00:52:18 | Speaker 4:

No. No. Now. Because of now. If you watch this year, it's like they didn't want to offend anybody or do anything funny. I mean, that joke that was just played just a second ago, that was about as interesting as they got with jokes.

00:52:18 - 00:52:39 | Speaker 6:

Y'all are crazy. Did you watch last night? Jennifer Coolidge presenting was hysterical. The guy riding White Lotus being absolutely obliterated drunk during his acceptance speech, hysterical. Quinta calling out Brad Pitt, hysterical. I thought it was great. There were maybe three moments out of the whole award show that I was like, okay.

00:52:39 - 00:52:40 | Speaker 3:

I don't know.

00:52:40 - 00:52:43 | Speaker 4:

What were you going to say, Mike? I was just there for Jenna Ortega. That was it. That was it.

00:52:43 - 00:53:00 | Speaker 3:

Oh, she looked good, too. Abbott Elementary, House of the Dragon, The Banshees, Avinisheran, Fablemans, were the big winners. Best Actress in a TV Drama Prize went to Zendaya for Euphoria. Best Actor went to Kevin Costner for Yellowstone, who couldn't be there in person because of those massive floods happening in California right now. So sorry

00:53:00 - 00:53:14 | Speaker 2:

for everyone who might have been tuning in to watch the Golden Globes. Chris and I aren't going to be able to be there. We, freeways flooded out. We found ourselves on the wrong side of the town and we couldn't get back last night.

00:53:14 - 00:53:36 | Speaker 3:

Colin Farrell, Jennifer Coolidge, Austin Butler, Cate Blanchett, Ozarks Julia Garner, love her, and Angela Bassett all took home trophies. Steven Spielberg voted best director for the fablemans, which also earned the best drama film award. And Eddie Murphy received the Cecil B. DeMille award and reflected on his 46 years in soap business.

00:53:36 - 00:54:03 | Speaker 1:

I want to let you know that there is a definitive blueprint that you can follow to achieve success, prosperity, longevity, Longevity and peace of mind. And I followed it my whole career. It's very simple. Just do these three things. Pay your taxes. Mind your business. And keep Will Smith's wife's name.

00:54:05 - 00:54:05 | Unknown:

Mom!

00:54:09 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 3:

Ben Affleck spotted filming something at Dunkin' Donuts yesterday morning in his hometown of Boston. He was dressed as an employee, working the drive-thru, all smiles. He loves his Dunkin'. Speculation was that he's doing something for a Super Bowl commercial. Jennifer Lopez was even seen heading through the drive-thru and getting food from her husband. Paula Abdul's profile as a choreographer was definitely upped when she worked with Janet Jackson on songs like Nasty and When I Think of You. Well, this week she was asked if the two will ever work together again. And it actually sounds like they might. Janet is, after all, going on tour soon. She'll be at LCA in May, but here's what Paula had to say. I literally just ran into her three, four weeks ago. I said, let's just bust out and do a TikTok. She goes, no. I go, come on, Janet.

00:55:00 - 00:55:02 | Speaker 4:

I'm in a gown. You're in a beautiful suit.

00:55:02 - 00:55:04 | Speaker 1:

I go, who cares? Let's just do a TikTok.

00:55:06 - 00:55:07 | Speaker 3:

Who has to do it for them?

00:55:13 - 00:55:44 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, yesterday, the lineup for this year's Coachella was revealed, and it features a two-weekend run topped by Bad Bunny, Frank Ocean, and K-pop superstars Blackpink. The 2023 edition going to run on two consecutive weekends, as it always does, April 14th, the weekend of April 14th, and then the weekend of April 21st. Also set to perform Gorillaz, Bjork, many, many more. You can see the full lineup along with all of today's Dirty on the Dirty page at MojoInTheMorning.com.

00:55:44 - 00:56:36 | Speaker 3:

One last quick big update that we should talk about because it's definitely a major story that's going on right now. There's an issue with if you're flying out today, you should check your airlines because there will be no flights, I believe, until 9 a.m., they're saying this morning. The FAA has ordered airlines to pause all domestic departures until 9 a.m. because of an outage that has taken place. So I don't know specifics other than that. I know that they're covering it on a couple of the news stations, but we'll keep our ear to what's going on. But that's not good. I don't know if maybe there's an outage. Nowadays, I think everybody got hacked.

00:56:37 - 00:57:07 | Speaker 1:

They're scared. Well, that's what I thought. Yesterday, they had statewide 911 operators were offline, and people had to call their local police station if they had any emergency that 911 just wasn't working for a lot of counties in Michigan. And now you see this this morning. They had computer issues with this is the system that tells pilots of any problems, issues, turbulence, runway things, stuff like that. And there's ways for them to check it manually, but they don't like that for pilots that have 300 passengers on board.

00:57:07 - 00:57:29 | Speaker 3:

And if you've flown recently, there's been a lot of turbulence because of a lot of the crazy weather that's been going on from the rains out west to those storms that were sweeping through, like, Dallas and Nashville and Alabama and Mississippi. So give away some prizes right now. WWE SmackDown. Elena, you got them. Congratulations to you. You're going to be going.

00:57:30 - 00:57:31 | Speaker 4:

Thank you.

00:57:31 - 00:57:35 | Speaker 3:

Thank you. Thanks for listening to us. What are you doing? Are you heading to work right now?

00:57:36 - 00:57:40 | Speaker 4:

I actually have to shut my roommate off at work, and I'm heading back home.

00:57:40 - 00:57:48 | Speaker 3:

That's nice. You're like a nice roommate. Do you get anything in return? Like, do they pay extra rent, or what's the story?

00:57:48 - 00:57:54 | Speaker 4:

Well, he helps pay the bills, and we split everything 50-50. It's kind of a life partner roommate situation.

00:57:54 - 00:58:01 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay. So at some point of your life, did you guys ever talk about, like, were you guys ever boyfriend and girlfriend?

00:58:01 - 00:58:10 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, we've talked about getting back together And doing the whole marriage thing But I guess I have cold feet From being married for nine years And getting divorced

00:58:10 - 00:58:25 | Speaker 3:

Oh, wow I wonder if my wife, when my wife talks to people Calls me her roommate Mike, do you ever think that Allie Like when she talks about, yeah, my roommate Mike I know she does Have a great time, okay

00:58:25 - 00:58:27 | Speaker 4:

Thank you so much

00:58:27 - 00:58:40 | Speaker 3:

Alright, Mojo in the Morning Show Well, Shannon always has good stories about her son, Smith. Smith is a great kid, but if you hear just the stories on the air, you think that he is, at times, a hellion.

00:58:40 - 00:58:45 | Speaker 2:

He is so far from a hellion, by the way. He's the best little guy in the whole entire world.

00:58:45 - 00:58:49 | Speaker 3:

He gets away with murder because he's got a cute smile. He's so cute.

00:58:49 - 00:59:05 | Speaker 2:

He has the best personality. But something happened, and I'm super bummed about it, but it is kind of funny, and that's why I'm telling you about it. So do you guys know what I'm talking about when I refer to those, like, little plastic mini hands that you can buy? Have you ever seen those at, like, a little gift shop or card shop?

00:59:05 - 00:59:06 | Speaker 1:

Little novelty gag gifts.

00:59:07 - 00:59:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, they're, like, little teeny tiny hands.

00:59:09 - 00:59:12 | Speaker 3:

They're, like, rubber or something, aren't they? A little bit.

00:59:12 - 00:59:15 | Speaker 1:

You put it on your fingertip, a whole little hand on your fingertip.

00:59:15 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 2:

Yes, okay. So I bought Wes one of them from a little store by my house because I knew he'd love it and get a kick out of it, whatever. Smith was with me when I bought this thing. he wanted one so bad and Mike I know you know this pain spike and mojo you probably remember it when there's stuff like up near the cash register you can't get away from it and then they they beg you and you're like so embarrassed as a parent consistently telling them no 10 times and then and now he does Smith does this thing where he'll if he wants something he'll just sneak it into the pile hoping that I don't notice so that then when I get home I've paid for it but I didn't tell him that he could get it. He's done that to me at the grocery store with like mints and gum or, you know, stupid stuff.

01:00:00 - 01:00:20 | Speaker 4:

Well, so I, you know, I kept busting him doing that. I told him, Bubby, we're not, you do not need this, okay? Well, we fast forward to the next morning, and my babysitter, Pam, sends me a text while I'm here at work to let me know that she found one of the little mini hands in Smith's coat pocket.

01:00:20 - 01:00:21 | Speaker 3:

Is it the one you gave Wes?

01:00:21 - 01:00:51 | Speaker 4:

So he stole it. No, because I had already given Wes the one that I bought for him. The kicker is the mini hand is given the middle finger. So now I'm like, great. Not only did my child steal something, but I have to have him go with me to return the middle finger hand back to the store. It wasn't like he stole a pen with a fluffy feather tip. It's the freaking middle finger hand.

01:00:51 - 01:01:18 | Speaker 3:

I got to tell you, I remember not only as a kid having to go back and do that, my dad taking me to Ben Franklin to go return it and do it, a little dime store, a little party store, Ben Franklin. But I also remember making my kids, and I think it was Joey that was the one that was the biggest culprit of this. So when are you going to do this?

01:01:18 - 01:01:51 | Speaker 4:

So I have not had him since we found this out. He's been with Andrew, and I really want to be the one to go with him. So I did tell him. I saw him yesterday, and I told him that we were going to have to go back and return it. And he was like, I can't do that. I can't apologize. I'm too shy. That's what he told me. I'm like, one, you are not shy. Two, you are doing it. I said, you have two options. We can go back to the store to return it, or we can go to the police station, and you can return it to the police station. And I felt so bad, because then he started to cry.

01:01:51 - 01:02:24 | Speaker 3:

All right, so I know every parent knows this. Every parent has done this with their kids, or you had to do it as a kid. Will you call back? Call us up right now. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Tell us, what did you steal, and what happened when you had to go return it? Because that's good, by the way. That's good that you're doing that, although I would probably just make his dad take him. Just for that, just for the fun of the whole thing. but um did you ever have to do that with your daughters spike or were your daughters uh no i'm

01:02:24 - 01:03:13 | Speaker 1:

really surprised because my parents had to do it me many times and we were just talking about that over the christmas break uh we took their grandfather on a long like four mile hike and we were talking all about everybody on the trip the hike was talking about the first time they were caught shoplifting and my daughters were shocked to hear that i had stories about it and And it was, you know, I was telling them about how my parents got me, like, a game for Christmas, but they didn't give me any batteries for it. And they're like, well, you got to go buy batteries. And I was in the fifth grade, and I stole batteries and got caught. And we're all going around talking about it. And, like, it made me feel good that for them, neither of them even thought about the idea of shoplifting or stealing. Because it seems like a rite of passage that every young child does.

01:03:13 - 01:03:18 | Speaker 3:

Maybe it's a boy thing more. Maybe it is. So mine was Hubba Bubba Bubblegum.

01:03:18 - 01:03:19 | Speaker 4:

Oh, the best.

01:03:19 - 01:04:04 | Speaker 3:

And I stole not a pack of gum. I stole the entire container that sits on the display that has them all in there. How did you get that out of the store? That's impressive. My mom was talking to the lady at the store. She was talking to the checkout lady. They were going through, and she was putting stuff on the little conveyor thing. And while she was putting it all on the conveyor thing, I took the whole thing and put it right into my freaking winter coat. And I got a big thing. But the funniest was my mom bought me one packet of it. Okay, so she had one packet, and I wanted the whole thing. I wanted the deal. And my mom didn't find out that I stole all the Hubba Bubba until my sister came home and said, Tommy is so spoiled. You bought him 30 packets of Hubba Bubba.

01:04:04 - 01:04:05 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh.

01:04:05 - 01:04:12 | Speaker 3:

My mom was not happy. God rest her soul. What's going on, Dana? Good morning.

01:04:12 - 01:04:13 | Speaker 2:

Good morning.

01:04:13 - 01:04:17 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what did you steal, or what did your child steal?

01:04:17 - 01:04:49 | Speaker 2:

My son was in Rite Aid with me in downtown Chicago, and we had to just run in real quick to grab something. We come out, we get like five blocks away from Rite Aid, and he pulls out of his pocket one of those little tiny video games, and he starts playing it, and I'm like, that is not yours. And we marched him back to the store, and they were like, oh, it's okay, because he has Down syndrome, they were like, oh, it's all right. I'm like, no, he needs to learn. He can't steal stuff. Yeah, right, right. Yeah, yeah.

01:04:50 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. It's nice that they were nice to you guys, but it is funny in that a lot of times in the stores, they'll actually do that.

01:05:00 - 01:05:04 | Speaker 7:

And they'll say, it's all right. And you're like, no, we're making a point here.

01:05:04 - 01:05:09 | Speaker 1:

I think they're the people without kids. Because the parents know. They're like, you're back here to teach them a lesson.

01:05:10 - 01:05:12 | Speaker 7:

Dana, thanks for the call.

01:05:12 - 01:05:14 | Speaker 5:

Oh, you're welcome. Have a good day, guys.

01:05:14 - 01:05:15 | Speaker 7:

Appreciate you. Nadine?

01:05:17 - 01:05:17 | Speaker 5:

Hi.

01:05:17 - 01:05:23 | Speaker 7:

Hi. Oh, my God. Wait a second, Nadine. Nadine, this isn't a child. I don't know how you slipped through the cracks, right?

01:05:24 - 01:05:25 | Speaker 5:

No, I'm not a child.

01:05:25 - 01:05:28 | Speaker 7:

No, I'm saying the person who stole was not a child also.

01:05:29 - 01:05:31 | Speaker 5:

No, no, it was my boyfriend in high school.

01:05:32 - 01:05:33 | Speaker 7:

Oh, okay. All right.

01:05:34 - 01:06:11 | Speaker 5:

So what is doing? We were at a football game, and we were going up to the concession stand, and I went to go get some popcorn. And we walked back to the bleachers, and he's like, hey, I got these suckers. And I'm like, what? I'm like, you didn't buy those. He's like, no, I stole them. And I'm like, no, you didn't. He's like, yeah, I did. I said, well, we don't steal. And I walked him back up to the concession stand. I'm like, he was my kid and said, go on, tell him. And I made him return the suckers, and he ended up getting suspended because the lady at the concession stand told the principal, and it was just a mess.

01:06:11 - 01:06:12 | Speaker 1:

Wow, did he break up with you after that?

01:06:14 - 01:06:28 | Speaker 5:

No, I actually broke up with him. He ended up stealing some other stuff. Later on, he ended up stealing a stop sign. That was kind of my breaking point. He stole it from an elementary school property, and I was like, yeah, no. Had a little problem.

01:06:28 - 01:06:31 | Speaker 7:

Do we know what he's doing nowadays? Like, is he running like a...

01:06:31 - 01:06:33 | Speaker 5:

He's an electrician.

01:06:33 - 01:06:33 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:06:33 - 01:06:40 | Speaker 7:

Is he the guy that's taking people's catalytic converters right now from their cars? Probably. Victoria?

01:06:42 - 01:06:42 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:06:42 - 01:06:43 | Speaker 7:

Is this just a boy thing?

01:06:45 - 01:06:46 | Speaker 4:

No, it was actually my daughter.

01:06:47 - 01:06:49 | Speaker 7:

Really? Your daughter's a thief. What happened?

01:06:49 - 01:07:44 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. So, at the time, I was working for Kroger as a cashier. and as a mom I have three girls and I'm grocery shopping totally in mom brain mode and not thinking that she was doing this well I'm at the cashier like I'm at the register about to have all my stuff be bagged just like Shannon said you know my daughter she kind of grabbed it without letting me look or she put it in her pocket or purse whatever we get home and then my other daughter rant like snitched on her said mom you know we all we all still mint and it was those altoid mints that very very minty kind oh yeah it was like the little pack like the mini ones and i said girl are you serious right now i was like pack your crap let's go back to the store because we're like five minutes i'm like you're gonna apologize to the clerk and you're gonna

01:07:44 - 01:07:55 | Speaker 1:

take it back we do not feel yeah and that always puts the fear of god into the children if they have to return it and apologize and talk to somebody and especially we do not steal altoid

01:07:55 - 01:08:33 | Speaker 8:

at least the hubba thank you i know i remember i remember i was trying to teach a lot because cecily we went to john ball zoo one time and she took a uh like one of those stuffed animals at the checkout like out of the uh gift shop or whatever as you're walking out and so i realized she like as we get to the car that she took it so i'm like oh we got to go back but i'm trying to make a point while we're talking to the people at the desk her face is painted i still have a zoo hat on she was really but they're just laughing at me the whole time trying to be very serious

01:08:33 - 01:08:42 | Speaker 7:

christina you go to hell for what you stole i know i know what'd you steal uh i when i was like

01:08:42 - 01:08:59 | Speaker 2:

10 or 11 i went into a thrift store and i saw what looked like a pretty little cross to me so i stole it i took it home for about a week i was feeling major major major guilt and then i figured out it was a rosary so i went back to the thrift store i shoved it under something and i ran

01:08:59 - 01:09:18 | Speaker 7:

01:09:36 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 3:

I can't keep them three hours. Dave, how old was he at the time?

01:10:55 - 01:11:00 | Speaker 4:

Five years old. Oh, my God. Oh, my Lord. Dave. You bastard. Dave.

01:11:00 - 01:11:06 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. I swear to you, every story we went into, his hands were in his pocket.

01:11:08 - 01:11:13 | Speaker 4:

How old is your son now, and when's the last time you spoke to him?

01:11:15 - 01:11:23 | Speaker 2:

This morning, I told him I love him and be careful at work, and I talk to him every day, and he's 26, and I tell you what, he knows dad don't play.

01:11:24 - 01:11:26 | Speaker 4:

Wow. Man, oh, man. Oh, my goodness. What a story.

01:11:27 - 01:12:06 | Speaker 1:

Holy cow. Hey, what are you doing later today? Shannon needs your help. All right, you're home of the phone scams. It's Mojo in the morning. Teresa works at Walmart. She put a flyer at work in the break room trying to find a home for her son's pet snakes because he got transferred to a different college and he couldn't actually bring these pets. She keeps getting calls about the snakes, and now Spike is going to be one of those annoying calls. This is proof that if you send us enough information, when you go to MojoInTheMorning.com and click on phone scam submissions, you get a really good phone scam out of it.

01:12:07 - 01:12:12 | Speaker 2:

Hello? You're home with the phone scams. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:12:14 - 01:12:18 | Speaker 5:

Hello? Hello, is this Teresa? This is she.

01:12:19 - 01:12:38 | Speaker 3:

Hi, I saw your flyer in the break room at work. I'm so sorry. I have to take that down. We gave them away. You gave away the snakes? Yeah, we found a really great home for them. Do you have any other snakes? No, no, we don't have any others. I'm so sorry to have wasted your time. I'll take that down today.

01:12:38 - 01:12:45 | Speaker 5:

Is your store getting any more in? No. But it says here on the sheet to call your pet shop about snakes.

01:12:46 - 01:13:00 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no, I'm not a pet shop. No, I'm so sorry for the confusion. I'm not a pet shop. I'm just a home. When will you be getting more? We're not getting any more snakes. My son's gone to college, and we're done with our snake period.

01:13:00 - 01:13:03 | Speaker 5:

Okay, yeah, because I was in work, and that's where I saw your ad for your pet shop.

01:13:04 - 01:13:10 | Speaker 3:

I know. I'm so sorry. I put that up because we wanted to find a good home for the snakes, but we found one. So you changed your mind?

01:13:11 - 01:13:14 | Speaker 5:

Did you change your mind about selling the snakes then?

01:13:14 - 01:13:21 | Speaker 3:

Well, we're not in the snake-selling business. This isn't a pet store. It's just a home. Right. We wanted to find a really good home.

01:13:21 - 01:13:23 | Speaker 5:

Okay, when will you have your next batch of snakes?

01:13:24 - 01:13:28 | Speaker 3:

I think you don't understand. We're not going to be getting any more snakes.

01:13:28 - 01:13:35 | Speaker 5:

So you're saying you're not selling? Wait, I just want to make sure I get this right. You say you're not selling snakes anymore?

01:13:37 - 01:13:51 | Speaker 3:

We never were selling snakes. Okay, I'll just try to make this clear. So basically we just had snakes as pets, my son did, and now we've given them away. So if we don't have any more snakes, then we're not getting them.

01:13:51 - 01:13:55 | Speaker 5:

Okay, gotcha. No more snakes. Right. What animals are you selling then?

01:13:57 - 01:14:11 | Speaker 3:

We're not selling any animals. What? Well, why would you advertise? Oh, my gosh. I wasn't advertising. I just put up in the break room that we were, you know what, we're not a pet store. I'm sorry to have wasted time.

01:14:11 - 01:14:13 | Speaker 5:

Your son has the snakes. I gotcha.

01:14:13 - 01:14:17 | Speaker 3:

Somebody else has the steaks. We don't have them anymore. We don't have any other animals.

01:14:17 - 01:14:21 | Speaker 5:

Do you have any hedgehogs? We don't have...

01:14:21 - 01:14:21 | Speaker 3:

What?

01:14:22 - 01:14:24 | Speaker 5:

Do you have any hedgehogs? No. Chinchillas?

01:14:25 - 01:14:27 | Speaker 3:

We don't have any other...

01:14:27 - 01:14:35 | Speaker 5:

Do you have any flying squirrels or lemurs or sugar gliders? No, we don't have any... What about chameleons or water dragons?

01:14:35 - 01:14:36 | Speaker 3:

That is all we have.

01:14:36 - 01:14:41 | Speaker 5:

What about box turtles? We're not a pet store. So you don't have any fire-bellied toads?

01:14:42 - 01:15:00 | Speaker 3:

No, we do not have fire-bellied toads, nor any other creatures like that. We have one dog, which we are keeping. We had some snakes, which we gave away. We don't have anything else, and we're not getting anything else. We're not a pet store. We're just a home, a regular old home. And I put up the flyer at the store just to find a...

01:15:00 - 01:15:04 | Speaker 1:

It's a good home for the snakes because my son went off to college. There are no other animals here. Do you understand?

01:15:05 - 01:15:08 | Speaker 2:

I have a pot-bellied pig. His name's Twinkles.

01:15:12 - 01:17:30 | Speaker 1:

That's all she's going to take on that one there. We will, we will scam you. You're home with the phone scams. The world famous. This is Mojo in the Morning. good morning coming up today on the show we have a big announcement at nine o'clock the iheart radio music awards so details on that we put together an award show every single year and it kind of leads into like what is going to be the biggest song of the year. So it's a fresh new year. Who will be the biggest artist this year, 2023? You'll find out first and also you'll hear first to air on our show when the iHeartRadio Music Awards are going to be this hour and we're commercial free now for like in the middle of a commercial free hour right now. Megan with, I really wanted this as a kid. What was it? She'll tell us, um, our producer KP with the place that she chooses to dress up every time that she goes is really interesting. The gym, she dresses up for the gym. She'll talk about that. And I got another situation that was really embarrassing that happened to me over the weekend. And that was, I returned a Christmas gift that was given to me only to find that the person who gave me the gift was there while i was returning it so i'll tell you about that awkward situation and ask a question about returning gifts coming up here in like the next 30 minutes um we got a couple of things going on here that we'll get to one is we got to welcome mike back he took the day off yesterday to take care of milo who was sick and uh and to make sure that He was better so that Milo could go to daycare. But first, it's Mojo in the morning and Spike in the altercation at the fast food restaurant last night.

01:17:31 - 01:20:30 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. I had the threat. They threatened to call the police on me. So I'm going to start off with that and ask if anyone's ever had that threat from a restaurant. Let me tell you, I am the most calm, cool, collected guy. When I go out, I totally respect the fact that right now it's hard to find employees. and i understand i go with the flow uh it's one of the things that meg told me was so attractive about me was that i'm so even keeled and just chill and like i don't let things upset me last minute changes or whatever the case is but last night was weird because we were having korean takeout so on the way out i i offered to pick up a happy meal for her six-year-old and i and uh Because he's not going to eat Korean. And as soon as I got to McDonald's, I knew I made a mistake. The drive-thru line was so long. But I told this kid I'd get his nuggets. You know, he can't back out now. I already got it. The happy meal is in his brain. This line was not moving. And when I tell you there were nine cars and I was just sitting there for 20 minutes, not one car moved. Except for like one or two people got out of line and left. But nobody moved. And I'm thinking, what is going on inside? Like, are they being robbed? Like, because no cars, I figured if there's a issue with the food, an order, they'll just tell people pull ahead and we'll bring it out to you. Or if there's an issue with the register. Which they've done. They do that from time to time. I couldn't figure it out. So while I'm sitting there, I downloaded the app, ordered the Happy Meal, and, you know, they said, okay, you're ordered and paid for. Just come into the restaurant or go to the window and tell them your order number, blah, blah, blah. so i got the car behind me to back up so i could get out of line oh you're one of those guys well it's easy he just backed up like he did okay and then i could then i could turn into a spot and reverse okay around but literally this whole place was full of cars and i went in to collect my happy meal but when i went in the guy told me the dining room's closed and i look around i could see they're like replacing the seats they're up they're remodeling the restaurant so i told him i said oh listen i already paid for the meal and i could see it sitting on the counter right there next to and there's a happy meal like they have all the orders lined up so i don't know what their issue was i said but i could see it right there could i grab it and he said no the dining room's closed and i told him i said the nine cars haven't moved for 20 minutes and you ordered it on the app Yeah. And he said, show him proof right there. Yeah, I could show. And so I held the phone up to him and showed him. He said, yeah, well, we have issues in the back. And so I showed him the mobile order and I asked him, could I could you just grab it for me? It's already paid for and it's already made and it's already there. And he's like and he's like, no, dining rooms closed. And then the manager came up, and she said the same thing. She goes, we're having issues in the kitchen, and if you want your Happy Meal, you've got to pull up to the drive-thru window. And I said, well, I don't know if you're aware. No one can pull up to the drive.

01:20:30 - 01:20:49 | Speaker 2:

There's nine cars out there, and I've been sitting here for 20 minutes. And the whole time, I'm not raising my voice. I'm being very polite. And she said, go back in your car and go to the drive-thru line if you want your meal. You have to leave the dining room, or I will call the police. Oh, wow. Wow. I was like, oh, my God. And I had already paid for it

01:20:49 - 01:20:52 | Speaker 3:

So you had to go to the back of that line now again?

01:20:52 - 01:20:56 | Speaker 2:

Yeah So it's sitting right there And I was thinking for a second

01:20:56 - 01:20:58 | Speaker 3:

Do I grab it and run?

01:20:59 - 01:21:17 | Speaker 2:

And I'm like nope I had no choice but to leave without the food I was like waste the $6 Because at this time It's already been a half hour So now I know my whole Korean food order Is just sitting on a counter 20 minutes away And I gotta go get that And it's already cold probably Spikes in hell

01:21:17 - 01:21:29 | Speaker 3:

So wait, so they do this where they say to you that you cannot pick up in the store, but did the app tell you to pick up in-store or at the drive-thru?

01:21:29 - 01:21:30 | Speaker 2:

It said pick up in the store or the drive-thru.

01:21:30 - 01:21:39 | Speaker 3:

Oh, there you go. That's what I showed to her. You should have said call the police. I showed it to her. I want the police to come here to get me my Happy Meal.

01:21:39 - 01:21:41 | Speaker 1:

That lady sounded like she was having a day. She would have.

01:21:41 - 01:21:49 | Speaker 2:

I would have had her phone. Oh, yeah. Well, I would have if I didn't have the whole family waiting for food at home. because they wouldn't bail me out. They'd be pissed off.

01:21:49 - 01:21:51 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but now you've got one angry child

01:21:51 - 01:21:53 | Speaker 1:

that doesn't get their Happy Meal. Where did you go to get a Happy Meal?

01:21:53 - 01:22:16 | Speaker 2:

Well, so then I got back on the road to go to the Korean restaurant, and I canceled the McDonald's order. You could back up and cancel it. And I just called Meg and said, listen, make them some mac and cheese. I'm coming home without the Happy Meal. I'm really sorry. It's a sad meal. So then this morning I looked. The app charged me the $6, even though I canceled the meal.

01:22:16 - 01:22:29 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to give you advice. Ready? I'm a pro at this. First off, if you're willing to pay a little bit more, DoorDash or any of the service will get you the food faster than you could possibly get through it.

01:22:29 - 01:22:36 | Speaker 2:

DoorDash had to do the same thing I did. They had to go through the drive-thru line. Well, let me explain. So they have to pick it up because the dining room's closed.

01:22:36 - 01:23:03 | Speaker 3:

Really? Well, let me explain this to you, though. Now, you – well, that's interesting because I was going to say, I have had before where people have, you know, at different businesses, said you had to go and you had to wait curbside for the thing. DoorDash people and those people don't have to do that. They go right in. Like, they're now giving those people priority. I actually went in and faked I was a DoorDash person picking up a DoorDash order at a Chipotle once.

01:23:03 - 01:23:19 | Speaker 2:

There was another lady there when I walked out all mad. I told her she was DoorDash, and she was cursing them because they won't let them pick. They're telling them they got to go through the drive-thru, and they're like, that's why there's this big line. And by the way, we looked at DoorDash first, and it was $22 for a happy meal, and I refuse on principle to do that.

01:23:19 - 01:23:22 | Speaker 3:

Honestly, for a happy kid, happy life.

01:23:23 - 01:23:32 | Speaker 2:

McDonald's is literally like 30 seconds from my house, and I figured, well, I ordered the Korean food. Now I'll just leave. They said 20 minutes. I'll leave right now. Pick up McDonald's on the way.

01:23:32 - 01:23:37 | Speaker 3:

You've got a young one at home now. You've got to think of this stuff. You've got to do it. What's up, Mark?

01:23:39 - 01:24:01 | Speaker 1:

Hey, what's up? Yeah, I actually work at a McDonald's. And so the reason that they don't have people come in is because they're usually short-staffed, which is, you know, it's our problem, but still at the same time, you know, the lines are ridiculous. I will give you that, as well as the prices. Because they actually just jacked up the prices recently.

01:24:01 - 01:24:44 | Speaker 2:

Well, everybody has. I'll be honest. I'll tell you what, when I walked in, they did have a lot of people working back in the kitchen because I'm totally patient and understanding of the short staff restaurants. I see it so much. I also hate I see these Karens complaining and raising and not being and they're being rude to the staff. And I hate that because it's not the staff's fault. They're the ones that showed up to work So I don't want to begrudge them But the policy of the dining room's closed We're remodeling Because they could see they ripped out all the booths And they're trying to modernize the restaurant This whole thing about the dining room's closed We can't hand you this Happy Meal That's sitting right there You've got to drive around I'm like, well, I don't know what your issue is in the kitchen But mine's made, just hand it to me

01:24:44 - 01:24:50 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, they should have gave you that Oh, also the thing with the shake machine being broken That's a complete lie

01:24:50 - 01:24:54 | Speaker 2:

yeah they don't want it we always heard they just they cleaned it and they didn't want to

01:24:54 - 01:25:00 | Speaker 3:

start it up again but yeah want a happy meal we'll get one of those happy meals you got a happy meal Well, stop it again.

01:25:00 - 01:25:01 | Unknown:

It's going to happen to me.

01:25:01 - 01:25:17 | Speaker 3:

I felt that. Well, and we have the added curse, too, that people know who we are. So you have to be. You can't lose your cool. I have to kill them with kindness. It doesn't matter if they ran over my dog. I have to thank them because someone will tell the whole world that Spike from Mojo in the morning threw a tantrum.

01:25:17 - 01:25:18 | Speaker 4:

Laura?

01:25:20 - 01:25:20 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

01:25:20 - 01:25:22 | Speaker 4:

What's going on? Good morning.

01:25:22 - 01:25:28 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. I got a similar story to Spike, but I got banned from Taco Bell.

01:25:29 - 01:25:29 | Unknown:

What?

01:25:29 - 01:25:30 | Speaker 1:

Uh-oh.

01:25:30 - 01:25:33 | Speaker 4:

What did you do? I want to hear it. Tell us.

01:25:34 - 01:26:37 | Speaker 1:

No. This was in Ohio. We was coming back from Pennsylvania, and we stopped at Taco Bell about 1130 at night, and you know how long the lines are, right? So we waited 20 minutes, me and my kids and my grandkids. Anyways, we waited 20 minutes. I spent $40 there, pulled out, and I said, check the bag because we had a big order. We were missing four items, not one. If I was missing one, I would have said, let's go. So I got out the car and went and knocked on it because it was closed. I went to the window, walked up to the window, and the guy said, well, go around to the door. So I went around the door. Kid came to the door. He said, what's going on? I said, I'm missing four items. Can I get them? And he yelled back to somebody working, and then he opens the door back up, and he says, we don't take walk-ups. I said, I'm not a walk-up. And I was calm. I said, I'm not a walk-up. I said, I want my four items that I just paid for. He shut the door, said something else, and he says, nope. And then there was a door dash. You guys were talking about door dash.

01:26:37 - 01:26:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah.

01:26:38 - 01:27:29 | Speaker 1:

Lady, I was walking back to my car, and I saw her walk up to the door, and I said, did they mess up your order? And she said, yeah. And I said, they're not going to give it to you. They told me to get back in line, and that line was ridiculous, and I wasn't getting back in line to get my food. I said, can you just hand it to me at the door? So I went back up to the door with her to see what they were going to tell her. They told her the same thing, to get back in line. She said, I'm going to lose money if I get back in line because, you know, how DoorDash does. But anyways, I was walking away, and the kid inside Taco Bell flipped me off. My daughter saw it. She actually filmed it. So I turned around and flipped him off. My daughter called the cops. They called the cops. Four cop cars came up, and the cop was very rude. He was more on their side, and I wasn't, you know.

01:27:29 - 01:27:30 | Speaker 3:

Oh, the cop was rude?

01:27:31 - 01:28:02 | Speaker 4:

Well, but can I say something to you? I'm seeing these stories in the news these days of people who are like, guy pulls a gun because he didn't get his French fries and stuff. No, it was Taco Bell. Yeah, Taco Bell. And I'm thinking to myself, these people are nuts that they're doing this, But I get the idea that you go nuts over the fact that they won't give you good customer service. And you're angry. And what is the deal with just going, get the bag of Happy Meal, give it to the man, go outside. It has nothing to do with anything else.

01:28:02 - 01:28:05 | Speaker 3:

And now you only have to deal with eight angry customers in line instead of nine.

01:28:05 - 01:28:43 | Speaker 4:

Give me a couple tacos that I ordered. Don't, you know, whatever the whole deal is. You know what it is? Honestly, I'm not going to blame specific locations or anything like this. I'm blaming the world. I'm blaming our universe. This world is so screwed up these days with the fact that people can't find people to work. And then when the people that can do work are getting abused and verbally. And everybody's angry. And everybody's angry. It's time. We all need a reset. We all need to take a deep breath. You remember how we shut everything down for COVID for like whatever it was. And we said that was going to help stop the spread. We all need a one day.

01:28:43 - 01:28:47 | Speaker 2:

Personal mental health day for the United States of America.

01:28:47 - 01:28:52 | Speaker 4:

And then everybody's got to get back to what it was like prior to 2020 when everybody went nuts.

01:28:53 - 01:28:54 | Speaker 3:

Wouldn't that be great?

01:28:54 - 01:29:01 | Speaker 1:

I've got to go into work, but I've got one thing, and I hope nobody takes the offenses, but I think it's these younger people.

01:29:02 - 01:29:02 | Speaker 3:

Oh, boy.

01:29:02 - 01:29:06 | Speaker 4:

Oh, boy. Megan's going to be mad at you. That's all the younger people. Here comes Megan. But I will say that.

01:29:06 - 01:29:14 | Speaker 3:

I'm on the Taco Bell side. The younger people don't own that McDonald's that remodeled and then didn't put a sign up or lock the doors.

01:29:15 - 01:29:17 | Speaker 2:

No, no, let's hear it. What did you have to say? I want to hear this, too.

01:29:18 - 01:29:27 | Speaker 1:

There's no good customer service. There's no manners. There's no respect. And like I said, I understand Spike didn't get – I didn't get irrational. I just said –

01:29:27 - 01:29:28 | Speaker 3:

You said you gave the finger.

01:29:29 - 01:29:39 | Speaker 4:

No, the guy gave her the finger, so she gave it back. Listen, I'll be honest with you. I don't think I'm not siding with this woman on what happened at Taco Bell. She handled the Taco Bell thing fine.

01:29:39 - 01:29:51 | Speaker 2:

But I also love that we were just, she just said, you know, these people don't have respect. There's no customer service. And we also acknowledge nobody's treating these people with respect or kindly, and they're going through the worst situation right now. I get it.

01:29:51 - 01:30:08 | Speaker 4:

That's why, Megan, reset. It's a day reset. We're resetting the world. We're all resetting our lives. Meanwhile, I'm the second person in life. And I just want an extra rant Alright well listen You got to go to work You said that you got to go to work Don't get yourself in trouble

01:30:08 - 01:30:11 | Speaker 1:

Okay have a great day

01:30:11 - 01:30:22 | Speaker 4:

Alright take care of yourself Can we just get the kid a happy meal By the way Did he know He was going to get a happy meal Or did he not

01:30:22 - 01:30:28 | Speaker 2:

I would have just backed right out As soon as I saw the parking lot I would have said nope bad idea I'm going to go somewhere else

01:30:28 - 01:30:32 | Speaker 4:

Was he upset? Was he okay with the mac and cheese?

01:30:32 - 01:30:43 | Speaker 2:

No, he was cool. He was cool about it, but that's only because Meg told him I was about to be arrested getting his hat. She literally explained it to him, like, they're going to put him in jail. And he's like, maybe I should just have mac and cheese.

01:30:43 - 01:30:48 | Speaker 4:

What would you have done if he would have said, if Meg's son would have said, good, arrest him.

01:30:49 - 01:30:57 | Speaker 2:

Throw him in jail. If he had known it was a Mario Party toy in there, he definitely would have had me arrested for it.

01:30:58 - 01:31:30 | Speaker 4:

It's Mojo in the morning show. Mike is back. Took a day yesterday to be with Milo. And I think that this was good, Mike, that you did this because poor Allie's had to take a lot of time off. And our job is no more important than anybody else's job. And I think it's good for dads to do this. So many times I see this where, and I wish I would have done this more with my kids, was to say, you know what, I'm going to use a personal day or a sick day. What was it like spending time with Milo, getting him rehabilitated and feeling better, and now he's on his feet?

01:31:31 - 01:32:08 | Speaker 3:

Good. You know, I have so much, and speaking of that, I have so much respect for stay-at-home parents, too, and parents that do stay home more than the other parent, like Allie does for us. Because it's, I mean, he's sick, so like he's screaming, and we went this weekend at one point, he's got, he had a really bad ear infection, but you can't get antibiotics anywhere. That's like a thing right now, I guess. There's a shortage. So we had to drive all over to try to find that. But he's screaming in pain, and there's nothing you can do. Yeah, so we're at the tail end of it now, so it wasn't as bad as Monday was from what I hear, but I had to give her a break.

01:32:09 - 01:32:28 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's good. That was so nice of you. That's good you did it. Did you guys have fun? Did you do what I always did or did when I was a kid or even as an adult, and you stay home, you watch The Price is Right, you end up seeing a couple Judge Judy episodes. You know, the bad daytime television, divorce court, whatever it is.

01:32:28 - 01:32:49 | Speaker 3:

So we watched some cartoons. It's different when you're not the one who's sick because then you end up, like, doing things that you wouldn't normally do around the house. Like, I didn't have work or anything to do, and everybody else was gone. So, like, I'm taking care of Milo, and then I'm seeing the neighbors that work from home, and I'm kind of seeing what they're doing, and I'm watching, like, just random things that I wouldn't ever notice throughout the day.

01:32:49 - 01:32:57 | Speaker 1:

That's so interesting to me. Right. Like, the guy on my street that walks his dog five times a day. You know, you would never notice that because I'm always here.

01:32:57 - 01:33:00 | Speaker 4:

I feel like a bad dog owner because my dog is going to get walked in as much.

01:33:00 - 01:33:04 | Speaker 1:

He does. He has this big black dog. He walks in at least five times in the morning when I was home with COVID.

01:33:04 - 01:34:08 | Speaker 3:

And my neighbor, so I'm learning now after a couple years being there, the neighbor right next to me, and I don't care if he hears me because he's the neighbor that nobody likes. Yeah, yeah. He's got a dog that barks at everybody, but not like where he comes outside and goes, hey, hey, come in. You know, come in. It barks, and then it just barks and barks and barks and barks and barks, and he just allows it. And so it bothers everybody. Nobody says anything. And it just kind of happens or whatever. But I also noticed he's got these bags on the side of his house. And I can see it from out of my kitchen window. And they're like little tiny like grocery, those plastic grocery shopping bags. Yeah. And I've always wondered what they were. I thought it was because he's got rocks and landscape right there. I thought it was like a project he's working on. And the weather just is weird right now. So he just hasn't got to it. But I found out yesterday that what it is is he cleans up his dog's poop and then takes it over to the side of the house. My guess is his wife doesn't even know it's there at all because he takes it to the side of the house and there's like 30 bags of these little tiny. He doesn't like throw it away?

01:34:08 - 01:34:09 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, why?

01:34:09 - 01:34:21 | Speaker 3:

I think eventually he does because it's never been to the level it's at now. I've noticed it, but again, I've noticed it. How many 30 bags? At least. Oh, you know what? I think I took a picture of it. I did take a picture of it.

01:34:21 - 01:34:23 | Speaker 4:

Really? Send it in our group chat just so I can see it.

01:34:24 - 01:34:25 | Speaker 1:

Can you compost with dog poop?

01:34:25 - 01:34:29 | Speaker 2:

See, but you don't really want to compost pet poop because it stinks so bad.

01:34:29 - 01:34:33 | Speaker 4:

And it's not good. They'll go back on it and eat their own poop.

01:34:33 - 01:34:38 | Speaker 2:

They're on different diets. It's not like wild animals. It's like where you have a cow poop or something.

01:34:38 - 01:34:43 | Speaker 4:

Look at how big those bags. That's, by the way. Wait, what kind of dog? Do you have a neighborhood?

01:34:43 - 01:34:45 | Speaker 2:

Whoa, that's like 10 years of poop.

01:34:45 - 01:34:48 | Speaker 4:

Do you have a neighborhood association or anything? No, no, no.

01:34:48 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 2:

That is nasty. Oh, as soon as you have a warm day, that is going to stink. He probably wants to keep it out of his trash can in the garage so it doesn't smell. How much is his dog pooping? Right?

01:35:00 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 5:

That's a lot.

01:35:00 - 01:35:01 | Speaker 3:

Put it away every week.

01:35:01 - 01:35:10 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, and then the snow melted, so I assume he cleaned up all the poop that was in the snow. But it's not illegal, right? Like, I can't be, like, nobody's going to walk over and say it.

01:35:10 - 01:35:12 | Speaker 1:

No, it's not illegal, but it's just. Listen.

01:35:12 - 01:35:13 | Speaker 3:

Ew, that's going to stink.

01:35:14 - 01:35:18 | Speaker 4:

That's the worst. That's a lot of poop. And you've got to live next to this bastard, huh?

01:35:18 - 01:35:25 | Speaker 5:

That's when, if you're at my kitchen sink right now and you're washing your hands or washing a dish, that's what you're looking out to. I don't know.

01:35:25 - 01:35:31 | Speaker 1:

Everybody's texting that you're going to get rats. Because don't rats love dog poop?

01:35:31 - 01:35:31 | Speaker 4:

I don't know.

01:35:31 - 01:35:32 | Speaker 1:

I've heard that many times.

01:35:33 - 01:35:52 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. Well, I'd say this. You're going to get something. It doesn't look like it's something that's good. Although I get to ask you a question. What's better, living next to the guy with dog poop in his bag or the guy that dog poops on your yard? Like, lets it go. At least he's keeping it on his yard.

01:35:52 - 01:35:57 | Speaker 2:

I'm just perplexed by his method of gathering it and not disposing of it.

01:35:57 - 01:36:01 | Speaker 3:

Right, that's the thing. I don't know how big his dog is, but that looks like an entire six months of poop.

01:36:02 - 01:36:13 | Speaker 5:

It's like a, I don't even know what kind of dog it is, but it's like a medium-sized dog. It's not a big dog. And he's out there cleaning it a lot. I do notice that. He's out there cleaning it, but I didn't realize that that's what those bags were.

01:36:13 - 01:36:29 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, like I have a little mini trash can, and the doggy bags go into the trash can. And then every trash day, you just take those five or six or seven bags from the walks, and you put them in the trash can the night before. Do you have a dog? No, with Dublin. Oh, with Dublin. I still get visitation of my dog. Oh, okay.

01:36:29 - 01:36:51 | Speaker 4:

I was wondering. I was like, wait a second. Did you just get a dog? Do you know what? A friend of mine had to live in Sylvania, Ohio, next to this house that had all these cars up on blocks, Mike. Oh, no. And they said it was awful. They said it was awful. It was like the whole backyard, front yard, looked like a used car lot.

01:36:52 - 01:36:59 | Speaker 6:

Let the record show again. What would be the worst? I have nothing to instigate me getting called out for absolutely no reason on the show.

01:36:59 - 01:37:03 | Speaker 4:

Megan, Sylvania's got a population that's much bigger than one. I'm sorry.

01:37:04 - 01:37:06 | Speaker 6:

And what does my cars have to do with dog poop in the neighborhood?

01:37:07 - 01:37:19 | Speaker 4:

Megan, why do you personalize everything? You do not have to personalize this. Mike, what would you rather have? Would you rather have? Well, to be fair, I did have a lawnmower in my yard for like the long, or like under my deck.

01:37:19 - 01:37:20 | Speaker 3:

Oh, right, yeah.

01:37:21 - 01:37:24 | Speaker 4:

Not any better, but. Hold on, Erica, what happened, Erica?

01:37:24 - 01:37:42 | Speaker 7:

good morning guys um my mother-in-law a neighbor behind her um i don't know if they have like mobility issues or what but like for a while there there was a huge mountain of like soiled adult diapers that had collected next to their house and uh it was definitely becoming a new

01:37:42 - 01:37:51 | Speaker 4:

for the neighbor what would be worse living next to the guy who's got the dog poop or living next The adult poop. The human poop.

01:37:51 - 01:37:54 | Speaker 7:

I think the adult. I think the human poo always out, right?

01:37:54 - 01:37:55 | Speaker 4:

Human poo.

01:37:55 - 01:38:08 | Speaker 5:

By the way. Yeah, what if I just put a bunch of my child's diapers in a bag and left them outside? Like, that would be the equivalent to what he's doing. Like, what if I just put all these poopy diapers outside of my house and just left them there? It'd be weird. Yeah.

01:38:09 - 01:38:11 | Speaker 7:

Maybe you have to do it to teach him a lesson.

01:38:11 - 01:38:20 | Speaker 4:

Mike, you should actually do that. But you should actually do it and stick it right there on that side, like on the property line, not next to your house, but property line.

01:38:20 - 01:38:21 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I like that.

01:38:21 - 01:38:32 | Speaker 4:

Right there next to them. All right. Thank you for the call. Appreciate it. You know what a listener just texted in that I thought was good? Buy the guy a child's diaper genie. Right.

01:38:32 - 01:38:38 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh, yes. Remember the diaper genies that went out? It did not work. That smell was still there.

01:38:39 - 01:38:51 | Speaker 4:

All right. Mojo in the morning show. uh megan i really wanted this as a kid what did you want as a kid to be left alone by you

01:38:51 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 6:

come on let me think uh to be respected for once in my life that add that to the list uh just a peaceful morning of happiness of the people that i think i love but don't love me back Like, all of those are added to the list. But I think what else I could talk about here was me and my girlfriends yesterday, we were talking about hot girl spit. And what is, like, hot girl spit now is, like, those Stanley cups we talked about the other day. Those seem to be very popular. I think the Lululemon crossbody bags, you know, all these items that are just very popular. And then we started talking about those from the past. and what we define as hot girl stuff when we were children. And immediately, the first thing came to my mind is the item I wanted more than anything growing up that my father did not love me enough to get me was a pink razor phone. Was that not the epitome of hot girl stuff circa 2002? Megan, that and Uggs. I begged my mom for it.

01:40:00 - 01:40:33 | Speaker 9:

uggs she'd always buy me these off-brand uggs it was uggs it was a it was the uh glow in the dark stars and moons beads that you would hang from your bedroom door that you would inevitably run into and get hooked around your body parts and you thought you were gonna lose a limb it was bubble blow up furniture oh my god it was your phone that you could see all of the wires and parts inside of your room it was juno's hamburger phone like what else for me it was

01:40:33 - 01:40:46 | Speaker 8:

white keds tennis shoes and guest jeans with the little triangle on the butt oh guest jeans yes guest jeans and white keds tennis shoes that was the thing i got made fun of for not having

01:40:46 - 01:40:55 | Speaker 1:

anything from abercrombie in middle school and my mom went to the store and bought me a couple shirts and i was so happy i cried like that is just to help you fit in bullying like at its best

01:40:55 - 01:41:11 | Speaker 8:

and when i was in elementary school and you could only get them at certain places i think i got mine from a mall kiosk after begging my mom forever and i were two things hyper color t-shirts and surf style jackets the purple blue surf style jackets everybody had to have one all right we're

01:41:11 - 01:41:29 | Speaker 3:

reminiscing hot girl spit as megan calls it hot girls uh stuff what was it that you always wanted that your parents would never get you. And did you have a phone at all? Or did you never get the pink razor? But did your dad get you a razor or get you any phone?

01:41:29 - 01:41:47 | Speaker 9:

No, I never got a razor. I never got anything. I had to work my way to one of those Nextel pay-as-you-go phones where you literally go to Kroger and buy your minutes. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what I had to do. Now, kids, back in the day, we had to buy our minutes or tell people to call us after 9 p.m. Free nights and weekends.

01:41:48 - 01:41:54 | Speaker 2:

517's with you, Megan. She says, my dad wouldn't get me a pink razor phone either. He got me an ugly Nokia brick.

01:41:55 - 01:42:09 | Speaker 9:

Okay, hot girl stuff. Akon's ringback tones that you would see ads for on MTV where you could text in and it would set up a ringback tone. But it had to be Akon or Black Eyed Peas. I'll give you either one of those. But if you were a Justin Timberlake girly, no.

01:42:10 - 01:42:18 | Speaker 8:

Everybody is texting the Juicy Couture tracksuit. The horror ones? It didn't matter. Oh, God. It didn't matter

01:42:18 - 01:42:20 | Speaker 3:

But remember, this was back then when they were cool

01:42:20 - 01:42:27 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but I'd like to see the girls on the show wearing those today I think it would be a fun photo shoot Megan, you want to do another morning show photo shoot?

01:42:29 - 01:42:29 | Speaker 3:

Chelsea

01:42:29 - 01:42:40 | Speaker 5:

Good morning Hey, I was just calling in Always jealous of the girls or the boys That had the TVs or the built-in DVD players in their room Oh, man Yes

01:42:40 - 01:42:47 | Speaker 8:

Man, if you even had a TV in your room I was jealous of you because I did not have that Girls who had their own phone lines.

01:42:48 - 01:43:10 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's it? In your room. Or you had, like, you ever go to do a sleepover at a friend's house, and they had, like, cool bedroom furniture, like the coolest bedroom furniture, and you had still your, like, bunk beds from when you were a little child? It's like the worst. The kid had a bigger bed than my parents did. What's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning. Hi. Hi.

01:43:10 - 01:43:31 | Speaker 6:

hi i'm just calling in to call in my answers for what we're talking about mojo in the morning yeah hot girl spit yes so my biggest thing was i was born in the 90s so my biggest thing was the easy bake oven oh my parents bought me one and they would not let me use it they kept it in

01:43:31 - 01:43:35 | Speaker 3:

the upstairs bedroom why were they afraid that it was going to cause a fire or something

01:43:36 - 01:43:45 | Speaker 6:

No, they were just afraid that I'd make random stuff, like make things with toothpaste, make things with lotion, because I went to environmental science school, for Christ's sake. Wow.

01:43:46 - 01:43:51 | Speaker 3:

Isn't it funny how your parents actually gave you one, but they wouldn't let you use it?

01:43:52 - 01:43:58 | Speaker 6:

Exactly. They did that with an Atari and all these other different things that were so popular back then.

01:43:58 - 01:44:01 | Speaker 3:

Thank you for the call. What's up, Marilyn? What's your hot girl spit?

01:44:01 - 01:44:09 | Speaker 4:

Hi, when I was in grade 8 I wanted a Camp Rock concert ticket It was Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift And Dami Lovato

01:44:09 - 01:44:15 | Speaker 9:

Dude, that lineup is actually kind of sick though I'd go to that concert now

01:44:15 - 01:44:20 | Speaker 4:

It was like the dream concert But instead my dad took me to La Brown Which was so nice

01:44:20 - 01:44:27 | Speaker 3:

Art, what did you want That you wanted to listen to music on?

01:44:28 - 01:44:31 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I had some three players Oh my god, that's my hot girl shit

01:44:31 - 01:44:39 | Speaker 3:

Do y'all remember Hiklips? Yeah. Ooh, Hiklips. Kaitlyn, what's up?

01:44:39 - 01:44:57 | Speaker 7:

Hi. So this is a little different because my mom tried to give me all the cool things, and I was too tidy in middle school. So I was still wearing, like, Oshkosh bagosh overall. So she literally went and bought a pair of guest jeans, unstitched the label from them, and put it over the Oshkosh label. Oh, my God.

01:44:57 - 01:45:04 | Speaker 3:

That's mom of the year. That is a great mom. That's amazing. Those guest jeans, man. Yeah, that's awesome. Isn't it wild?

01:45:04 - 01:45:12 | Speaker 7:

Megan, do you remember the Steve Madden black sandals with, like, the black piece of fabric that went over the top? Do I?

01:45:13 - 01:45:46 | Speaker 5:

Do you remember the absolute chokehold that purses with a either pink or blue letter, which was the first initial of our name had on them? The fact that we would, like, literally. And the piping was the opposite color. Oh, yes. And we would stab each other over these purses with our lip smackers inside of them. Bring back lip smackers. The justice needs to be given back to that company. Because the fact that we put, like, Coca-Cola and Froot Loop chapstick on every day, like, that was the norm. Oh, Dr. Pepper! It was so good.

01:45:47 - 01:45:52 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the morning, do you feel better now? You got it off your chest.

01:45:52 - 01:45:53 | Speaker 2:

Not until she gets that pink razor.

01:45:54 - 01:45:57 | Speaker 5:

No, I'll feel better when I don't have to talk to you for the rest of the day.

01:45:57 - 01:45:58 | Speaker 3:

Oh, come on.

01:45:59 - 01:46:02 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:46:02 - 01:46:05 | Speaker 3:

All right, see what's trending in the Dirty on the 30, and what do you got this hour, Shannon?

01:46:05 - 01:46:14 | Speaker 7:

Let's start with this. The Mega Millions jackpot has grown yet again to $1.35 billion after there was no winner in last night's drawing.

01:46:14 - 01:46:18 | Speaker 3:

I can make you a billionaire tonight. Our first winning number tonight is 15.

01:46:18 - 01:46:35 | Speaker 7:

So the next drawing is on Friday. Again, $1.35 billion. You'll get an estimated $707.9 million as the lump sum if you win. And Mojo, we were talking about this before the show started. The odds got all screwy recently because more numbers were added, right?

01:46:35 - 01:46:44 | Speaker 6:

So the odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot got just slightly longer, which helped to build those jackpots moving forward.

01:46:44 - 01:46:47 | Speaker 7:

Yes, when you add numbers, the odds just, you know.

01:46:47 - 01:46:56 | Speaker 2:

It was about five or six years ago they changed all the odds because they realized they wanted to differentiate from local statewide lotteries.

01:46:57 - 01:47:09 | Speaker 3:

They say that it has caused for more people to feel like they have more opportunity and more chances to play. It's obviously caused, I think, for them to make a little bit more money, too.

01:47:09 - 01:47:13 | Speaker 2:

Well, there's not as many winners for sure, but the prizes are way bigger for those who do win.

01:47:13 - 01:47:47 | Speaker 3:

What ends up happening is that people will, you know, I don't normally go and play the lottery, but I'll play the lottery when it's one point something billion dollars. Right. It's just because of everybody's going to do it. So it's what it's done is it's dragged the guy who's the average person, the average Joe guy out and not just the lottery playing people. I have like people that are family members of mine who they play the lottery more than they go to like work or church. You know what I mean? Like, they'll go. They play every day different lottery.

01:47:47 - 01:47:48 | Speaker 7:

That was my grant. That was Shani's cranny.

01:47:49 - 01:48:07 | Speaker 3:

And they're big, and they spend a lot of money on it. Now, I did not know this, and somebody needs to tell me if this is true. I heard that if you keep your money that you, if you keep track of how much money you played, the losing money you can write off on your taxes. Is there truth to that?

01:48:07 - 01:48:08 | Speaker 2:

I'm not sure.

01:48:08 - 01:48:28 | Speaker 3:

I heard that that's the case. That's really interesting if that's true. You can do, by the way, you have to do that. You can do that with gambling, like those apps that we have, like DraftKings, Bet, you know, MGM and all that stuff. Yeah, you can write off losses. You write off the losses that you have. And a lot of times, because people, here's the problem. You win, you have to actually pay for the win, but you can offset that with the losses.

01:48:29 - 01:48:30 | Speaker 7:

Huh. I didn't know that.

01:48:30 - 01:48:33 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, talk to Taxi. Where's Stuart Sackwell?

01:48:33 - 01:48:33 | Speaker 7:

I know.

01:48:34 - 01:48:35 | Speaker 3:

Call him up right now and ask him.

01:48:36 - 01:49:05 | Speaker 7:

The Golden Globes returned to NBC last night. The big winners, Avid Elementary, House of the Dragon, The Banshees of Inertian, The Fablemans. Austin Butler won Best Actor in a Drama for Elvis. Angela Bassett became the first star to win a major acting award for a Marvel movie. She picked up the Best Supporting Actress Award for Wakanda Forever. Steven Spielberg won Best Director for his autobiographical drama, The Fablemans, which also picked up Best Picture.

01:49:05 - 01:49:24 | Speaker 1:

Everybody sees all of us the way they perceive us based on how they get the information. But nobody really knows who we are until we're courageous enough to tell everyone who we are. And I spent a lot of time trying to figure out when I could tell that story. And I figured out when I turned about 74 years old, I said, you better do it now.

01:49:25 - 01:49:37 | Speaker 7:

Hurry up. And White Lotus stars Jennifer Coolidge, truly the star of the night. She did pick up a trophy. but more people were talking about her speech when she was presenting an award.

01:49:38 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 4:

My biggest nightmare is really, it's just the pronunciation of people's names. You know, once I say someone's name the wrong way, I'm screwed. I am screwed. I can't do it. Like, you hear it that one way and you can't undo it. And I was at a dinner party one night with, um, I'm not kidding. I sat next to Bill, Bill Nye, Nye, Nye, Bill Nye. And every time someone...

01:50:00 - 01:50:22 | Speaker 2:

came to the table, I was like, this is Bill Naive. And I, you know, and then, but get this, I'm serious. Across from me was Kayleigh Cocococo. And it was just, you know, it's just a disaster. You know? President Biden commenting about those classified documents from his vice presidency that were found at one of his personal offices yesterday.

01:50:22 - 01:50:34 | Speaker 5:

I was briefed about this discovery and surprised to learn that there were any government records that were taken there to that office they've turned over the boxes to the archives and we're cooperating

01:50:34 - 01:50:46 | Speaker 3:

fully interesting story because they said that they found them before the past midterm elections but didn't say anything about it the lawyers didn't say anything about it or bring it to the

01:50:46 - 01:50:50 | Speaker 4:

press well they handed them over immediately when they found them they just we didn't find out about

01:50:50 - 01:50:54 | Speaker 3:

it didn't yeah it didn't come out in the news and a lot of people were wondering about that i thought

01:50:54 - 01:51:03 | Speaker 2:

it was also interesting he commented and i cut this part out of that clip that he was advised not to ask or not be told what the contents of those classified documents was.

01:51:03 - 01:51:12 | Speaker 3:

And you know what they were? They were details about Ukraine and Iran, which a lot of people were wondering why was the vice president of the United States leaving with those details.

01:51:13 - 01:51:36 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, this story is going viral, and it's kind of scary. A girl named Haley Willett claims she went on a Tinder date with a guy by the name of Brian Kohlberger, The 28-year-old accused of slaying those four University of Idaho students, she said she was absolutely stunned when she saw his face on the news.

01:51:36 - 01:51:42 | Speaker 1:

I recognized him immediately and my heart just sank because I couldn't believe that I was face-to-face with this guy.

01:51:42 - 01:51:53 | Speaker 2:

The date happened in 2019. Again, they matched on Tinder. They went to a movie and then he was really weirdly insistent on escorting Haley back to her dorm room.

01:51:53 - 01:52:09 | Speaker 1:

I was kind of afraid to say no, so I just let him come in with me. He kept trying to tickle me, and I would ask him to stop, or I'd say, what are you doing? And he would be like, I'm not, I'm not tickling you, and he would get very serious.

01:52:09 - 01:52:14 | Speaker 2:

So she wanted to get rid of him, so she came up with this plan to pretend she was getting sick, like thrown up.

01:52:14 - 01:52:35 | Speaker 1:

I proceeded to pretend to throw up in the bathroom, hoping that, you know, a gross amount he would leave. He had messaged me on Tinder and said that he was leaving and that he had a good time and that he would message me later. And then about an hour later, he messaged me and he said that I had good birthing hips and I just never messaged him that after that.

01:52:35 - 01:52:44 | Speaker 2:

Has that ever happened to anybody? You meet somebody on a dating app and the next thing you know, you see them on the news and they're wanted for some crime. Please call us if you do. I love you. I want to hear that.

01:52:44 - 01:52:48 | Speaker 3:

Or text 95500 because we're doing the contest right now and get through to us.

Mojo in the Morning Show

01:53:28 - 01:53:38 | Speaker 3:

Hello, DJ Yes, good morning Good morning You're a winner, my friend Congratulations

01:53:38 - 01:53:40 | Speaker 5:

Thank you so much

01:53:40 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 3:

You are so welcome Congrats to you You have $250 in Kroger groceries for free We're going to set you up with a $250 gift card, and you're now qualified for Mojo's 10K Grocery Grab, $10,000 in groceries. Think of how many, I was trying to think of what I would buy. Think of how many ice cream drumsticks you could buy. I have those in my freezer right now. I have the mini ones. I want $10,000 in drumsticks. I don't care. I just won it from Mojo in the Morning. That's what I would – I'm the type of person, by the way – I'm sorry. Oh, you're welcome. I'm sorry. I'm still reminiscing here for a second. But I'm the type of person that if I get, like, a gift for, you know, the holidays from, like, a loved one or whatever, like a gift card, I go and I don't buy, like, the stuff I need. I buy the stuff I want or I shouldn't get. And I'm that type of person that goes out and does that. And then, you know, in the end, what am I doing? So if you do win this, make sure that you go out and, you know, use it for the good of your family and, you know, get good groceries and then buy yourself something special. Kroger Delivery, now available. Go to Kroger app and check that out. And it's funny because.

01:55:00 - 01:56:24 | Speaker 2:

I didn't understand what Kroger delivery was until that listener told me yesterday. And so yesterday I go home, I go, Chelsea, we got to do Kroger delivery. And she's like, we do that. And I go, no, I'm not talking about, you know, Instacart. I'm talking about Kroger delivery refrigerated trucks, delivery pros, bringing them to your house. And I told her what that listener said yesterday about the fact that when you order stuff, they have what you want, the actual name brand of the thing that you want. it's not like the delivery apps and I'm not calling any of those guys out and saying anything bad about them because obviously they've done their good but I hate when I order something and they say pick another item that could be something that you would like to replace it with and I never get the thing I want and I'm not saying that maybe the stores just don't have it but this is you know they're going to give you this stuff I don't know get mad you know what it was that happened to me what i was it licorice no i know you love your you said that yesterday and i'm like i need some red vines it so it's not red vines chelsea buys this licorice that is i forget what the heck it's called it comes in a bed like a zip thing and they have a couple different flavors and i know it's more expensive than than normal licorice but it is the best licorice ever. I'll bring it in tomorrow.

01:56:25 - 01:56:28 | Speaker 1:

You better write it down on that pad of paper right there. It's so good.

01:56:28 - 01:56:34 | Speaker 3:

Do not forget. Were there two? Strawberry candies that grandma's always having their purges.

01:56:35 - 01:56:46 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. By the way, licorice is underrated, by the way. You can make fun of me all you want there, Megan, but understand that you basically are me without a penis.

01:56:48 - 01:56:51 | Speaker 3:

As much as I hate to admit this,

01:56:51 - 01:57:24 | Speaker 2:

you are so right but also you started this today and i am uh older than you okay so i'm yeah i'm i'm like what 12 years older than you i think i think it's only like three or four yeah well see who's being nice now yes thank you um all right mojo in the morning show so uh producer kp uh she by the way how you guys feeling how recent kp feeling right now they slept 16 hours last night are you guys getting tired yet i told you that that's gonna happen i'm hurting a little

01:57:24 - 01:57:28 | Speaker 4:

bit i'm not gonna lie are you yeah i am too i feel like my body's like in shock right now

01:57:28 - 01:57:34 | Speaker 2:

they got 16 hours of sleep and you for some reason you get all that sleep and you get exhausted

01:57:34 - 01:57:48 | Speaker 5:

after yeah i'm not a smart man but one thing i have learned after doing mornings for 25 years is that the consistency is more important than the number of hours like you have to sleep the same amount every night and that's what gives your body their rest so kp does something that's

01:57:48 - 01:57:54 | Speaker 2:

very interesting and i bet you that there are other people that do this too i think so i can't

01:57:54 - 01:58:23 | Speaker 4:

be the only one that does this i um i actually get down on myself because i feel like i don't dress up enough when i go to the house and when i say dress up i mean like look really put together i'm the type that just throws on a pair of sweats and with the gym in particular i've had to kind of change my game a little bit because every time i go to the freaking gym there's someone i know there there's a million people that i know at the gym and lately i've been getting messages from people that i don't even see that are there that i know and they're like hey i saw you at the gym

01:58:23 - 01:58:36 | Speaker 5:

and i'm like you did oh my god i looked awful oh my god you're supposed to look awful at the gym i mean unless it's a guy you're hoping to hook up with or something well they've been guys lately

01:58:36 - 01:59:16 | Speaker 4:

like they've been like this one guy who's a mutual friend and i have never met him in real life but he knows me from social media he messaged me after and was like hey i think i just saw you at the gym and i'm like oh great so like every time i leave i have to make sure i've got my hair like kind of cute like up but cute not like awful like rat's nest it's good but not overly done yeah it looks like you were trying too hard exactly do you wear makeup at the gym um no well if i wear makeup in the morning then i'm at the gym in the afternoon but i do not that's one thing i will not do i will not put on a face of makeup yeah so um so where do you work out

01:59:16 - 01:59:28 | Speaker 2:

um edge okay because i was gonna say the whole idea of planet fitness is the judgment-free zone nobody cares about this you know whatever but i still see people that get very dressed up when

01:59:28 - 01:59:38 | Speaker 3:

they even go to a planet fitness i'll be honest i don't get dressed up dressed up but i gotta i i've started this matching sweatpants thing yeah i got a matching yeah well you always got to match

01:59:38 - 01:59:50 | Speaker 2:

at least your, your, you know, sweatpants and stuff like that, Mike, even, even just walking out of the house. Otherwise you're, you're, you are officially a dad. If you don't, here's my

01:59:50 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 4:

other solution that I've come up with. If I don't get dressed up, I go straight to the women's only room. And this is, I think it's just an edge thing. I don't know about other gyms, but there

02:00:00 - 02:00:15 | Speaker 1:

is a room specifically for women only where you can key card in because you're a female and you can all judge each other in there yeah i would think that you would want wouldn't want to go in there because women judge more than guys judge it's a safer space really all right so 844 mojo

02:00:15 - 02:00:47 | Speaker 3:

live 844-665-6548 i want to talk to people who dress up to go to the gym i want you to call us up and tell us you know where i dress up for i dress up if it's a saturday morning and we got to you know we want to make breakfast or we want to get something chelsea gets so mad at me because it takes me so long to go if we're going to a grocery store or we're going to like the coney island to go have breakfast i gotta dress up yeah i gotta look nice because the problem is exactly what kp just said you see a million people you always run into somebody it's always when you're

02:00:47 - 02:00:59 | Speaker 7:

looking like holy hell that you i'm i am praying as i walk into target please please do not let me see anybody i know and that's when you see a million people the worst is when somebody's sick

02:00:59 - 02:01:05 | Speaker 3:

in your house and you cannot go get dressed up and you got to run out to cvs or yeah and you look

02:01:05 - 02:01:18 | Speaker 2:

like you got greasy face then i have to tell the listener my whole story like yeah yeah my daughter is really sick and i had to get these antibiotics and yeah i'm trying to get them on before the holiday because we're traveling and and they're like i just wanted to say hi i'm like yeah that's

02:01:18 - 02:01:34 | Speaker 3:

why my pants are on backwards i always run into neighbors at that like if i have to run up to kroger like on a saturday morning i always end up running into the neighbors who only see me in that look and they think man this guy does not look good it's always that i saw something it

02:01:34 - 02:01:54 | Speaker 7:

was like a meme posted on instagram the other day and it said i related to it so much it said something to the effect of um i am so surprised at how ugly i will allow myself to look leaving the house nowadays sometimes i look down and i'm like oh my god it's not even leaving the house

02:01:54 - 02:02:20 | Speaker 2:

sometimes i'm just gonna take the trash out and it's dark and it's nine o'clock at night and i think not gonna see anybody so i do a quick peek out the garage door i don't see any neighbors out there i'm just gonna take the cans to the curb in my pajamas and then boom as soon as i get to the curb i hear hey spike and there's like three neighbors all talking on the corner i'm like i had to know as soon as i was going to walk out my underwear that they would be there it's always

02:02:20 - 02:02:37 | Speaker 3:

for me the dogs going to the bathroom one last time before they we go to bed for the night then you run into the talkative neighbor right talk to you and you're already in your bed close yeah uh what's that megan what were you gonna say something i was just gonna ask if somebody

02:02:37 - 02:02:51 | Speaker 1:

could explain to me why i refuse to get dressed up for anything important but if i'm going to barnes and noble at eight o'clock at night i will go put a full face on a fake lash and wear heels i get dressed up for the most unimportant things and then anything i'm supposed to look nice for

02:02:51 - 02:03:02 | Speaker 2:

i could not be bothered well probably in the back of your mind you're hoping to meet another little cute nerdy bookworm someone with in the same section as you as shannon would say my meet cute

02:03:02 - 02:03:09 | Speaker 1:

will happen one day you you taught me that that phrase i love that i know yeah i want one so bad

02:03:09 - 02:03:32 | Speaker 3:

by the way the um uh the textures that are pouring in right now people are actually working out at the uh at the gym listening to us on their headsets laughing because they said that they had to do exactly this ivan what's going on people take oh my god one guy texting 734 says i take a shower before going to work out and after I work out. Two showers that way. Ivan, what's going

02:03:32 - 02:03:38 | Speaker 5:

on? Hey, good morning, guys. How are you doing? First time caller. Halfway to about six months

02:03:38 - 02:03:42 | Speaker 3:

listener. Thank you. Oh, I love it. Hi, Ivan. You're new. You're fresh.

02:03:43 - 02:03:46 | Speaker 6:

Yes, yes. New to back in June. I moved to Michigan with my

02:03:46 - 02:03:48 | Speaker 3:

family. I love it. Where'd you move from?

02:03:49 - 02:03:49 | Speaker 6:

Arkansas.

02:03:50 - 02:04:10 | Speaker 3:

Nice. Well, welcome to a fun place. You may be the only person that, although So you're moving from Arkansas, I guess. I was reading the other day that everybody's moving from Ohio and Michigan to warmer climates. So they're all going warm on this. What's going on? Do you dress up before you go to the gym?

02:04:11 - 02:04:20 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I'm fully Adidas gear. So, I mean, from the sneakers, socks, pants, t-shirts, it's all Adidas. That's all I wear.

02:04:21 - 02:04:27 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. So Mike was talking about that. Mike was talking about how he has to match. Mike, don't you have to match? Like, you can't wear Adidas and Nike together.

02:04:28 - 02:04:42 | Speaker 4:

So I don't anymore now because I like to match that much. But my wife got me these TikTok sweatpants. They're called Gymshark or something like that. So it's a whole matching set. So I'll wear that and then the Adidas or Nike. But you're right. I don't mismatch.

02:04:42 - 02:04:54 | Speaker 3:

Wait, the TikTok set, let me say it matches. Does it look like if it's camo on the bottom, it's camo on the top? Yes, absolutely. It looks like it's one solid suit.

02:04:54 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 4:

How do we even see you? it's funny because of

02:05:00 - 02:05:02 | Speaker 3:

the, you kind of, I don't know, I can't do it.

02:05:02 - 02:05:03 | Speaker 7:

Is that a thing?

02:05:04 - 02:05:04 | Speaker 3:

I can't.

02:05:04 - 02:05:14 | Speaker 7:

Like, that just reminds me of Tim Allen in the Santa Claus when he's got, like, the gray sweatshirt and the gray sweatpants. It's kind of like that. Or like, kind of like that, yeah.

02:05:14 - 02:05:20 | Speaker 3:

Or if it's Adidas, you look like a member of Run DMC. Yeah. What's up, Liz?

02:05:21 - 02:05:32 | Speaker 5:

Yes. I don't dress up for the gym, but my 85-year-old grandfather dresses up full suit and tie for every doctor's appointment.

02:05:32 - 02:05:45 | Speaker 1:

That is so sweet. That's really cute. And that's like a bygone era where the grandparents would dress up to go to the store or an airplane or wherever they were going for the day. It was full suit. My mom used to dress

02:05:45 - 02:05:47 | Speaker 7:

us up to get on an airplane. Think about

02:05:47 - 02:05:48 | Speaker 3:

how people are on airplanes nowadays.

02:05:49 - 02:05:51 | Speaker 1:

Pajamas, sweatpants

02:05:51 - 02:05:58 | Speaker 7:

and crops. But that used to be a big deal. Fam, if I'm going to spend $700 on a plane, I'm not going to be uncomfortable on it.

02:05:59 - 02:06:00 | Speaker 3:

Eamon.

02:06:01 - 02:06:01 | Speaker 4:

Hi.

02:06:02 - 02:06:02 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what's going on?

02:06:04 - 02:06:08 | Speaker 4:

Nothing. So I go to the gym with a full face of makeup.

02:06:09 - 02:06:11 | Speaker 3:

I hear of a lot of people, and I see that a lot.

02:06:11 - 02:06:20 | Speaker 4:

Now, what is your reasoning for doing that? It just gives you a boost of confidence. Okay. It makes you, you know, look and feel good. Sure, I can see that.

02:06:21 - 02:06:25 | Speaker 1:

It doesn't sweat off? Your face doesn't melt halfway through the workout?

02:06:26 - 02:06:31 | Speaker 4:

A little bit, yeah. But I just take a napkin and just blot it off.

02:06:32 - 02:07:09 | Speaker 3:

Amon, when I belonged to Lifetime Fitness, notice I didn't say when I went to Lifetime Fitness, when I belonged. Occasionally, I would go in, and it was every Chaldean girl dressed up like they were going to a wedding at Shenandoah Country Club. Oh, my God. They were all, like, dressed with their hair up all great and stuff like that. And I was thinking to myself, God, that just seems like it's a lot of work to try to keep up with it. I thought I saw a girl crying at the gym. I bet she was just sweating. Yeah. Because her makeup was running. Cindy, what do you do your hair and makeup for?

02:07:11 - 02:07:14 | Speaker 8:

Snowmobile and four-wheeling. If I die out there, I'm going to look cute.

02:07:15 - 02:07:21 | Speaker 3:

That's awesome. That's incredible. Love you for listening. Thank you.

02:07:21 - 02:07:22 | Speaker 8:

Yes, thanks. Bye-bye.

02:07:22 - 02:07:30 | Speaker 3:

Bye. I figured out what a listener told me what that licorice was, and it is true. The licorice that I like so much, Willie Wallaby.

02:07:31 - 02:07:32 | Speaker 7:

Willie? Where do you get it?

02:07:32 - 02:07:37 | Speaker 3:

Google it. I am right now. Chelsea gets it, I think, at Kroger. I don't know.

02:07:38 - 02:07:39 | Speaker 7:

Oh, I've seen that.

02:07:39 - 02:07:44 | Speaker 3:

It's good. Okay. It's like good licorice. I don't know. All right. We got a big announcement that we got to do right now.

Monday, March 27th, live on Fox.

We'll see you there. All right, watch it on Fox and be voting, too, If you got the iHeartRadio app, man, you are prime for voting. And tell us who you think are the biggest artists and who should be at the awards. It's Mojo in the morning. So have you guys done all your returns from the holiday shopping and holiday gifts that you either gave or gifts that you received? All right. So this past weekend was kind of like a, all right, we got to get rid of some of this stuff because we got rid of the tree. and we also needed to get rid of because we still had gifts that were underneath the tree. And I have a funny story of something that happened to me when I was trying to clean up a little bit. I got a gift, and I guess I could say who it was from. It was from a neighbor of mine, and they bought me. They were very sweet. They bought me a very nice gift. And has this ever happened to anyone? Have you ever gotten a gift from a family member only to have them bust you returning it because you didn't want it. They bought me a Ralph Lauren sweater. It was a Ralph Lauren, and it was the colors of like.

02:10:00 - 02:10:03 | Speaker 2:

red, white, and blue and stuff like that. You know how Ralph Lauren does that sometimes?

02:10:03 - 02:10:04 | Speaker 3:

Very Americana. Yes.

02:10:05 - 02:10:52 | Speaker 2:

Let me just put it this way. If I kept that sweater and wore that sweater, I'd look like the fattest American flag you've ever seen. It was just awful on me and just looked horrible. So I returned it to Macy's and while I was returning it, my neighbor who bought it for me was there and saw me at the counter returning the sweater that they gave me. And I didn't say anything, and now I will tell you this. Have you guys ever had to do this? Do you ever have like an aunt or cousin or friend or whatever give you a gift and you don't know where they got it from and it doesn't fit or you don't like it and you want to return it? How do you subtly ask them where do they get it? They didn't put a gift receipt in it. You can't.

02:10:52 - 02:10:55 | Speaker 3:

You're just stuck with it. You can't. That's the worst situation.

02:10:55 - 02:11:09 | Speaker 2:

Because I had Chels call her and say to her, hey, you know, Tom needs to get a different size, you know, and like, you know, and he may have to do this whole thing.

02:11:09 - 02:12:37 | Speaker 3:

That's actually a good excuse. Which is a great excuse. And this is why I always will tape the receipt to the bottom of a box if I give somebody something that, you know, even if I am sure that they would like it, I still do it because I am not offended if you have to return it. I'd rather you return it and get something that you want than, you know, give it to another show member and then they show up the next day wearing it. But yeah, I, you know, what's so funny is this reminds me, and this was a couple of years ago and if she's listening, God, I feel bad, but it was really funny. So my, my former mother-in-law, Andrew's mom, one time bought Lucy when Lucy was a baby, some sort of like dress or something. I can't remember what it some sort of baby outfit and it wasn't really my taste and so I thought oh I'll just I'll put it in the donation bag and you guys know me I always have donation bags in the back of my car I'm constantly dropping stuff off at this one place on Southfield Road so I went to go drop off my donation bags and it was not the next day that we had we were getting together for something and she said oh I would love if Lou swore the outfit that I got oh no and I'm like oh god I had to drive back to Encore, the place where I drop this stuff off and try to see if they had gone through the bag yet, you know, to unload and organize the stuff onto the floor of the actual store. Did you have to buy it back from them? They had it. Thank God. No, it hadn't even gone out yet. So I just grabbed it really quick from my bag that was still in the bin.

02:12:38 - 02:12:48 | Speaker 2:

They would have been smart to make you buy it back for the donation. That's funny. That's like the worst feeling too. When somebody goes, I haven't seen your child

02:12:48 - 02:12:50 | Speaker 1:

When they give you baby stuff

02:12:50 - 02:13:15 | Speaker 2:

We used to get that all the time with the kids Like a relative would always buy The worst clothes And what Chelsea would do is She'd put them in it, take a picture Send it to them and then that was her obligatory You know We're out of here 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-654 I know that stores have policies on returns What's the latest that you can return something?

02:13:15 - 02:13:15 | Speaker 3:

It depends

02:13:15 - 02:13:33 | Speaker 2:

Because there have been things I've gone through. So I went through and I cleaned out my garage. And then I cleaned out some of my closet and stuff like that. I have in my closet what's called the crap area. And it's usually, like, first off, do you guys save shoe boxes? When you buy a pair of shoes, do you save the boxes?

02:13:33 - 02:13:40 | Speaker 1:

I do. I don't know why. It's just a dad thing. It's like, oh, what a great box. I'm going to use this someday. And I have a pile of great boxes that I'm never going to use someday.

02:13:40 - 02:14:37 | Speaker 2:

I save the boxes with the shoes. So I have a bunch of Nikes. I have a bunch of Jordans. And I have, like, all the boxes. And I save them because part of me thinks these things could be, you know, limited editions or could be hard to get. Mike, you wear Jordans at all? Yeah, yep. So I have a couple fours that are really nice. And I have these shoes that I got that actually I found out from a buddy of mine that works at StockX that they're actually worth something. And Joe bought them for me at the Nike store when the release came out. They're called Tinker Hatfields. Have you heard of that at all? Uh-uh. It's like a limited edition. And so Chelsea's like, you got to get rid of the boxes. I'm like, I can't get rid of this box. These things could be worth a lot. And I never wear them. Like, I wore it to the iHeart Festival or the Jingle Ball. Yeah. Oh, yeah. And I even almost brought a change of shoes with me because I didn't want to, like, have to walk through the parking lot in them and stuff and get them all scuffed up.

02:14:37 - 02:14:42 | Speaker 1:

In the history of Mojo's shoes, have you ever repackaged and resold the shoes? Never. Never.

02:14:42 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 2:

Never in my life. But I will say this to you, when I was wearing those things on stage, I actually had one of the record reps say something to me. One of the reps for Kid Leroy said something to me about the, he's like, man, you're wearing Tinker Hatfields. I'm like, oh, you recognize them?

02:15:00 - 02:15:11 | Speaker 6:

Got those from Joe. Who's this on the phone? Hey, what's up? Kool-Aid lady! What's happening? Man, shoot.

02:15:12 - 02:15:14 | Speaker 3:

This is way in the booger booger.

02:15:14 - 02:15:15 | Speaker 6:

How you doing, Kool-Aid lady?

02:15:16 - 02:15:21 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Yeah, man. Happy New Year, man. It is so good.

02:15:21 - 02:15:28 | Speaker 6:

The Kool-Aid lady is on with us right now. For those who don't know her, she's a Mojo in the Morning misfit who's been a misfit for a long time.

02:15:28 - 02:15:34 | Speaker 2:

Fix me a big jug of orange and orange juice Kool-Aid with some pineapple juice.

02:15:34 - 02:15:38 | Speaker 6:

We love her so much. And Kool-Aid lady, do you have to return things that are given to you?

02:15:39 - 02:15:47 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah, I had an incident, you know, because, you know, I like T-shirts, right? And, you know, I like, man, hang it off with me sloppy, right?

02:15:47 - 02:15:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:15:48 - 02:15:55 | Speaker 3:

And my sister bought me some T-shirts. Those suckers were so small, I couldn't even get my head through that monkey pipe, man.

02:15:55 - 02:16:01 | Speaker 6:

Well, then you've got to return that T-shirt, right, Kool-Aid lady?

02:16:02 - 02:16:08 | Speaker 3:

Well, I just kept it and used the material, you know, because I do a lot of sewing and stuff, right?

02:16:08 - 02:16:09 | Speaker 6:

Oh, okay, yeah.

02:16:09 - 02:16:11 | Speaker 3:

I'm going like, man, this is whack.

02:16:11 - 02:16:34 | Speaker 6:

I remember, Kool-Aid lady, by the way, we've got some new merch coming out, and we're going to get your size. But I remember Kool-Aid lady telling the person that does our thing, she likes to wear this size of shirt. And he's like, there is no way That I've seen Kool-Aid Lady There's no way she can fit in that thing I think she likes to wear it like a blanket I think she likes to have it be so big It's a blanket on her

02:16:34 - 02:16:42 | Speaker 3:

I guess You know, I did lose a bunch of weight But I still like myself hanging off He's sloppy, man, you know

02:16:42 - 02:16:45 | Speaker 6:

We love you Happy New Year, Kool-Aid Lady

02:16:45 - 02:16:49 | Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, and tell Shannon She got a birthday coming up too, right? That's right

02:16:49 - 02:16:53 | Speaker 6:

You better call up with a song Are you going to call with a song?

02:16:54 - 02:16:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, because I got some stuff, man That'll blow the catfish out of that video, right?

02:16:58 - 02:17:02 | Speaker 6:

She always does a special song That always sounds different From the years prior

02:17:02 - 02:17:05 | Speaker 3:

02:17:15 - 02:17:46 | Speaker 4:

So you guys were talking about The late returns My husband bought me a Christmas tree for christmas because it was on sale at home depot thinking it was like the greatest gift ever and it was the hideous tree i couldn't even imagine it didn't even fit in the space i'd go to return it the day after christmas and they said sorry no returns after christmas for any holiday decoration yeah even though we had a receipt like yeah i'm like you know it's it was a christmas gift it's not now i'm stuck with this hideous christmas tree until i can try to return

02:17:46 - 02:18:04 | Speaker 1:

it next year before christmas i didn't realize that they have that as a policy a lot of stores do that the holiday you know whatever the holiday maybe you can't return the holiday items after the holiday you can't return because they don't want you to buy home decor use it yeah and then after the holiday is over just bring it back and then they can't put it back out on the floor it's got

02:18:04 - 02:18:16 | Speaker 5:

to go in storage jen what's up it's mojo in the morning um i have not done my returns yet but i just wanted to say that costco has like the uh it's like unlimited they have no time limit on

02:18:16 - 02:18:31 | Speaker 6:

I love Costco for that, although I think that you can't do the electronics and things like that, but you can pretty much return anything. God, we've had listeners call us before. They returned half of a rotisserie chicken that was already eaten.

02:18:33 - 02:18:42 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that's crazy. And you know that Christmas thing, too, I bought lights from Meyers this year, and none of them worked, and they wouldn't let me return them.

02:18:42 - 02:18:43 | Speaker 6:

Oh, man. That sucks.

02:18:43 - 02:18:48 | Speaker 5:

They literally did not work Like the second I got them home Plugged them in

02:18:48 - 02:18:49 | Speaker 6:

What date did you return them though?

02:18:50 - 02:18:58 | Speaker 5:

Well I tried to return them after Christmas Because I bought them like a couple weeks before Christmas And everything was just so crazy And I didn't sign I get it

02:18:58 - 02:19:04 | Speaker 6:

That's where donation has to come into play Donate them

02:19:04 - 02:19:05 | Speaker 5:

Some unusables

02:19:05 - 02:19:10 | Speaker 6:

Donate them to a relative you don't like Tell them they worked when you used them

02:19:10 - 02:19:14 | Speaker 5:

I don't know what you're talking about They were perfectly fine

02:19:14 - 02:19:18 | Speaker 6:

Exactly, you got it down Thank you for the call, I appreciate it

02:19:18 - 02:19:19 | Speaker 5:

Have a good morning

02:19:19 - 02:19:26 | Speaker 6:

That's why I love gift cards Give me gift cards I got a drawer full of lots of gift cards Those are the greatest

02:19:26 - 02:19:33 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the morning Five lies to tell your mom

02:19:33 - 02:19:36 | Speaker 6:

Alexis, you work in a dental office?

02:19:37 - 02:19:38 | Speaker 4:

I do, yes

02:19:38 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 6:

Oh, good. I like these. These are fun. I always love when we do five lies. Tell your mom that involves your business and being in a dentist office. This could be actually kind of funny. Okay. Okay. We are going to make up five completely fake things. None of this is true. You just got to show what kind of actress you are. And if you can get your

02:20:00 - 02:20:21 | Speaker 1:

mom to stay on for all five of the lies you win your mom a prize awesome you ready can't wait i'm ready five lies tell your mom line number one you're gonna say mom can you pick me up line number two say i'm at sarah's house sarah is one of your co-workers we asked for a co-worker's

02:20:21 - 02:20:26 | Speaker 3:

name right um sarah's my cousin actually oh cousin oh that's good that's a good person

02:20:26 - 02:20:30 | Speaker 1:

Lie number three I just got fired from work

02:20:30 - 02:20:31 | Speaker 3:

Okay

02:20:31 - 02:20:33 | Speaker 1:

Lie number four

02:20:33 - 02:20:37 | Speaker 3:

I was playing around with some Novocaine and some laughing gas

02:20:37 - 02:20:52 | Speaker 1:

And lie number five And my boss caught me and now I'm fired Okay Here's the thing Novocaine obviously is going to make your mouth sound like you got stuff in it, right?

02:20:53 - 02:20:54 | Speaker 3:

Yes, yes

02:20:54 - 02:20:57 | Speaker 1:

You're going to have to do some really good acting on this one Do you have anything you can put in your mouth?

02:20:59 - 02:21:03 | Speaker 3:

I do, actually. I'm going to throw some gauze and cotton rolls in there.

02:21:03 - 02:21:04 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that is perfect. Perfect.

02:21:05 - 02:21:07 | Speaker 1:

Can we hear what it sounds like with the things in your mouth?

02:21:10 - 02:21:15 | Speaker 3:

Okay. I just put it in. Perfect. Oh, my gosh. That is great. That is great.

02:21:15 - 02:21:16 | Speaker 1:

All right, here we go. We're dialing up your mom.

02:21:17 - 02:23:53 | Speaker 4:

All right. Hello? Mom? What? So, I don't know how to really tell you this, but I need you to pick me up from work. Well, not from work. I'm actually at Sarah's house, so I need you to pick me up. Okay. Or dad or whoever. um so me and me and alissa were playing around with some novocaine and laughing gas at work and um that's why my mouth is like um i'm now and i'm just feeling not too good okay um and So, I hate to say it, but Renee, my boss, she caught me, and I just got fired from work, and they asked me to leave immediately, so I had to go to Sarah's house. Well, when the hell would you do that? I don't know. I know. I know it's really stupid. I don't, we were just, me and Alyssa, we were just being dumb. How could you be dumb, Alexis? I mean, you're 28 years old. I'm so sorry. I'm just, I just am not, you know, the laughing gas made me feel all weird and stuff. And it's been a while since I've had it. I don't know. We were just trying out the anesthetics at work and I don't know. Why would you, I mean, is this the first time you've tried it or no? I mean, I haven't had it since, like, five years ago when I got my wisdom teeth taken out. Okay, I know that. So then what possessed you to do it at work? I mean, you were that bored? Yeah. We didn't really have any patients this morning, so we didn't really have anything to do. Well, did you know you could be risking your job? Um, I guess I wasn't really thinking. So what the hell are you going to end up doing now? I don't know. I'm probably going to have to look for another job. Oh, my God.

02:23:54 - 02:23:58 | Speaker 1:

The sigh or the grunting sigh is a mom sigh.

02:24:00 - 02:24:01 | Speaker 3:

And it's not a good sigh.

02:24:01 - 02:24:02 | Speaker 1:

No, it's not a good sigh.

02:24:04 - 02:24:06 | Speaker 4:

It's a disappointment sigh.

02:24:06 - 02:24:07 | Speaker 1:

Maria?

02:24:08 - 02:24:08 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

02:24:09 - 02:24:14 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the Morning, and you've been on five lies to tell your mom. Are you serious?

02:24:16 - 02:24:26 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to kill you. That's usually the response. I'm going to kill her myself. Sorry, Mom.

02:24:26 - 02:24:28 | Speaker 1:

What an acting job. Alexis.

02:24:28 - 02:24:31 | Speaker 3:

I know. It was pretty impressive.

02:24:32 - 02:24:37 | Speaker 1:

What if we celebrate that this is not true by not only giving you a prize.

02:24:38 - 02:24:38 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:24:38 - 02:24:44 | Speaker 1:

But let's all go to Alexis' work, and let's go get some laughing games. Yeah. Let's do it.

02:26:18 - 02:26:24 | Speaker 6:

You know what? I even thought about it, and I didn't bring my book with me today so that I wouldn't even be tempted to read Daryl.

02:26:24 - 02:26:28 | Speaker 1:

Okay, I'm just making sure on that. Back to Shannon, Stephen Colbert.

02:26:29 - 02:27:05 | Speaker 5:

One of the things that he said, and I would concur with this, but he believes his rollercoaster relationship with his brother would not have gotten to this point, to the point that it's at right now, which obviously is not a good one, if their late mom, Princess Diana, was still alive. made that comment last night, and he has said in previous interviews that their mom would be just heartbroken over the boys' deteriorating relationship with one another. She would never have let that happen. One of the more serious moments from last night's sit-down saw Harry talking about the royal family and the backlash to his memoir that dropped yesterday.

02:27:05 - 02:27:18 | Speaker 2:

Do you think that right now there is an active campaign by the rest of your family, by the royal house, as it were, to undermine this book and you as you support it?

02:27:18 - 02:27:21 | Speaker 3:

Of course, and mainly by the British press because they are...

02:27:21 - 02:27:23 | Speaker 2:

But aided and abetted by the palace.

02:27:23 - 02:27:41 | Speaker 3:

Again, of course, but this is the other side of the story, right? After 38 years, they've told their side of the story. This is the other side of the story. And there's a lot in here that, you know, perhaps makes people feel uncomfortable and scared. They were drinking a little tequila during that interview.

02:27:41 - 02:28:11 | Speaker 1:

So I, because I am, of course, non-biased on Harry, I would like to play some audio from this morning's news in Britain where they bring up a very interesting point that there is a huge double standard that's going on right now. If you read this book, there's, in the book, Harry releasing some text messages between he and Kate and Meghan and Kate and all the rest of that stuff.

02:28:11 - 02:28:15 | Speaker 5:

Over the bridesmaid's dress, Charlotte's bridesmaid's dress from Meghan and Harry's wedding.

02:28:16 - 02:28:23 | Speaker 1:

And they bring up a rather interesting comment about this. And I thought, let's just at least give them an opportunity to speak here because they have funny accents.

02:28:24 - 02:28:42 | Speaker 7:

Harry goes text by text, Catherine, the Princess of Wales, and Meghan. Isabel, can you tell me what is the difference between leaking an entire text conversation between the Princess of Wales and Meghan and Thomas Markle giving portions of a letter to a newspaper?

02:28:42 - 02:29:21 | Speaker 4:

Yes, exactly. And the Daily Mail has serialized the entire exchange. Extraordinary access, the sort of access that people were called over the coals for in the UK in the leveson inquiry when they were you know tapping into people's phones don't need to do that anymore you can rely on harry and megan just to publish them of their own free will and this was kate saying charlotte's dress is too big too long too baggy she cried when she tried it at home megan replied right and i told you the tailor's been standing by since 8am here at kp kensington palace can you take charlotte to have it altered as the other mums are doing kate replied to no all the dresses need to be remade and the day and the wedding is in four days megan replies yes kate

02:29:21 - 02:29:39 | Speaker 7:

i know also how petty is this i don't care i mean i really don't care i i'd be upset if my if if there we had four days to go and my little girl didn't have an outfit too and i don't understand why this is something that you would include in a book

02:29:42 - 02:29:47 | Speaker 1:

but i will say this there is there's double standards yes what is what is your oh megan

02:29:47 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 6:

um the fact that they were not the first to do this i think that her dad dropping that out of nowhere was an invasion of privacy but when the royal family had sources and i say that lucy

02:30:00 - 02:30:34 | Speaker 1:

in quotation marks because most of the time we have learned now, these are direct quotes from the royal family that are just passed through their press offices to the tabloids and they're the ones starting these rumors about how Meghan was rude to Kate and Meghan started fights and Meghan did this and Meghan did that and they started all of this with her behavior was poor. This is just defense now. We were not in the wrong. We were quiet for years. We stepped away and you still wouldn't drop these rumors. Now we're going to defend ourselves versus her dad just putting private information out there uncalled for.

02:30:34 - 02:30:36 | Speaker 4:

And what was your comment, Tasha?

02:30:36 - 02:30:54 | Speaker 2:

Well, because they were talking about the difference in the Daily Mail publishing that letter. And if you watch the Harry and Meghan documentary on Netflix, you know that that letter was intercepted illegally, essentially, because, I mean, so there is a little bit of a difference in how the information was acquired and then put out there.

02:30:54 - 02:31:01 | Speaker 4:

I just like to have equal opportunity here Because I'm very non-biased I will reserve all judgment

02:31:01 - 02:31:03 | Speaker 2:

And opinion

02:31:03 - 02:31:29 | Speaker 4:

Until the former prince Does an interview here on this show By the way he's pretty much everywhere You never know Can you imagine if all of a sudden we get a phone call From like premier radio Yeah we got five minutes of time with Harry By the way would it be bad if we did it And we made Reese do the interview Instead of like Meghan But he has to do it in a British accent. Like his own British accent. Like if Megan doesn't get that interview, Megan, you'll be devastated.

02:31:29 - 02:31:43 | Speaker 1:

No, I don't want it. I truly don't want it. There are so many people I don't want. I never want to interview Harry Styles. No, thank you. I'm good. No, because the only thing that could happen is that you let me down. And I don't need that. I like keeping you on a pedestal.

02:31:43 - 02:31:47 | Speaker 4:

The celebrity, you mean? Yeah, never meet your idol. Yeah, never meet your idol.

02:31:47 - 02:32:51 | Speaker 2:

The Golden Globe Award slammed as boring and way too woke and political by viewers who were watching the show's return to TV last night. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association had hoped it would be like a fresh start after it essentially overhauled itself following all of those allegations of racism last year. It was kind of boring, definitely more boring than in past years. The show's host, comedian Jared Carmichael, dived right into the controversy as he started his monologue. I'm here because I'm black. Long speeches. I mean, kind of the same stuff as in past years. It just seemed to, like, really be glaring last night. Regardless, Abbott Elementary, House of the Dragon, The Fablemans were the big winners. Zendaya taking home a trophy, Kevin Costner for Yellowstone, Colin Farrell, White Lotus' Jennifer Coolidge, Austin Butler, Julia Garner from Ozark, and Wakanda Forever star Angela Bassett all taking home Globes, along with Steven Spielberg, Eddie Murphy, receiving the coveted Cecil B. DeMille Award.

02:32:51 - 02:33:18 | Speaker 3:

I want to let you know that there is a definitive blueprint that you can follow to achieve success, prosperity, longevity, and peace of mind. And I followed it my whole career. It's very simple. Just do these three things. Pay your taxes, mind your business, and keep Will Smith's wife's name.

02:33:22 - 02:34:46 | Speaker 2:

Gwen Stefani is defending her Harajuku era yet again, years after being accused of cultural appropriation of Asian culture. During an interview this week, she kind of raised some eyebrows as she repeatedly insisted that she was Japanese. Now, again, she's the daughter of an Italian-American dad and an Irish-American mom. So the question she was specifically asked was about what she learned from creating the Harajuku Lovers brand. And her answer was this. She said, that was my Japanese influence, and that was a culture that was so rich with tradition. And she reflected on how after years of hearing her dad talk about his work trips to Japan as a Yamaha marketing executive, visiting Tokyo herself felt like home. She said, I said, my God, I'm Japanese and I didn't know it. And people took lots of issue with that. And lastly, another blow for reality stars, Todd and Julie Chrisley. Their request for bail has been denied, meaning they will have to report to their respective Florida federal prisons next week. As planned, the Chrisley Knows Best stars were sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison for fraud and tax evasion. They have to surrender on the 17th. The couple was also denied to extend their surrender date by 21 days. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on MojoInTheMorning.com.

in the Morning. Alright, you're home of the phone scams. It's Mojo in the Morning. Teresa works at Walmart. She put a flyer at work in the break room trying to find a home for her son's pet snakes because he got transferred to a different college and he couldn't actually bring these pets. She keeps getting calls about the snakes and now Spike is going to be one of those annoying calls. This is proof that if you send us enough information when you go to MojoInTheMorning.com and click on phone scam submissions, you get a really good phone scam out of it.

02:35:37 - 02:35:42 | Speaker 3:

Hello? You're home with the phone scams. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:35:45 - 02:35:52 | Speaker 1:

Hello? Hello, is this Teresa? This is she. Hi, I saw your flyer in the break room at work.

02:35:52 - 02:36:08 | Speaker 2:

I'm so sorry, I have to take that down. We gave them away. You gave away the snakes? Yeah, we found a really great home for them. Do you have any other snakes? No, no, we don't have any others. I'm so sorry to have wasted your time. I'll take that down today.

02:36:08 - 02:36:15 | Speaker 1:

Is your store getting any more in? No. But it says here on the sheet to call your pet shop about snakes.

02:36:16 - 02:36:30 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no, I'm not a pet shop. No, I'm so sorry for the confusion. I'm not a pet shop. I'm just a home. When will you be getting more? We're not getting any more snakes. My son's gone to college, and we're done with our snake period.

02:36:30 - 02:36:34 | Speaker 1:

Okay, yeah, because I was in work, and that's where I saw your ad for your pet shop.

02:36:34 - 02:36:40 | Speaker 2:

I know. I'm so sorry. I put that up because we wanted to find a good home for the snakes, but we found one. So you changed your mind?

02:36:41 - 02:36:44 | Speaker 1:

Did you change your mind about selling the snakes then?

02:36:44 - 02:36:51 | Speaker 2:

Well, we're not in the snake-selling business. This isn't a pet store. It's just a home. Right. We wanted to find a really good home for them.

02:36:51 - 02:36:53 | Speaker 1:

Okay, when will you have your next batch of snakes?

02:36:54 - 02:36:58 | Speaker 2:

I think you don't understand. We're not going to be getting any more snakes.

02:36:58 - 02:37:06 | Speaker 1:

So you're saying you're not selling? Wait, I just want to make sure I get this right. You say you're not selling snakes anymore?

02:37:07 - 02:37:21 | Speaker 2:

We never were selling snakes. Okay, I'll just try to make this clear. So basically we just had snakes as pets, my son did, and now we've given them away. So if we don't have any more snakes, then we're not getting them.

02:37:21 - 02:37:26 | Speaker 1:

Okay, gotcha. No more snakes. Right. What animals are you selling then?

02:37:27 - 02:37:41 | Speaker 2:

We're not selling any animal. What? Why would you advertise? Oh, my gosh. I wasn't advertising. I just put up in the break room that we were – you know what? We're not a pet store. I'm sorry to have waited for time.

02:37:41 - 02:37:43 | Speaker 1:

Your son has the snakes. I got you.

02:37:43 - 02:37:47 | Speaker 2:

Somebody else has the snakes. We don't have them anymore. We don't have any other animals anymore.

02:37:47 - 02:38:05 | Speaker 1:

Do you have any hedgehogs? We don't have – what? Do you have any hedgehogs? No. Chinchillas? We don't have any other. Do you have any flying squirrels or lemurs or sugar gliders? No, we don't have any. What about chameleons or water dragons?

02:38:05 - 02:38:06 | Speaker 2:

That is all we have.

02:38:06 - 02:38:11 | Speaker 1:

What about box turtles? We're not a pet store. So you don't have any fire-bellied toads?

02:38:12 - 02:38:34 | Speaker 2:

No, we do not have fire-bellied toads nor any other creatures like that. We have one dog, which we are keeping. We had some snakes, which we gave away. We don't have anything else, and we're not getting anything else. We're not a pet store. We're just a home, a regular old home. And I put up the flyer at the store just to find a good home for the snakes because my son went off to college. There are no other animals here. Do you understand?

02:38:35 - 02:38:38 | Speaker 1:

I have a pot-bellied pig. His name's Twinkles.

02:38:42 - 02:38:44 | Speaker 5:

That's all she's going to take on that one there.

02:38:46 - 02:38:59 | Speaker 3:

We will, we will scam you. you're home with the phone scans the world famous this is mojo in the morning

02:38:59 - 02:39:13 | Speaker 4:

WKQI Detroit WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids WVKS Toledo three great stations one stupid show this is mojo in the morning live

02:39:21 - 02:40:00 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning Show Mike is upset because he says that there is something that everybody else on the show has gotten to do and he has not and would like just a moment of time to speak up I'm going to whine for a minute now this is something that your wife and you were having a discussion about yesterday so uh there has never been a moment where i haven't expressed that i am the forgotten ugly

02:40:00 - 02:40:21 | Speaker 4:

stepchild of the show oh boy okay all right here we go this is a bold statement uh it's very true it's 100 true and i know it uh because we were sitting in our meeting on monday and we're going over dates we're going to be off and and people are taking midwinter breaks and that kind of stuff and midwinter break is different in in in different areas different in west michigan than it is

02:40:21 - 02:40:41 | Speaker 5:

detroit midwinter break for those that are not from michigan is kind of a michigan thing i never knew this until i moved here from arizona it's the president's day week usually in the detroit area that they give kids uh like a four-day week or three-day weekend or sometimes the full week

02:40:41 - 02:41:55 | Speaker 4:

off okay yeah so they're doing uh so they're doing it different in our like here they i think they do it the friday before and then the monday so then we get friday monday off so normally i don't take that week off but i was talking to her about vacations and stuff last night and i'm like you know what the whole show's taken that week off it's like the week of the 20th through the 24th or something maybe i should take it off too and she's like well don't you want to be there for like your birthday that's like going to school and on your birthday you know everybody you know they do that big thing where they bring in a cake and they you know bring all this different stuff and they people call in sometimes and wish you a happy birthday don't you want to do that And I said, son of a bitch, six years on this show, six years. You've watched me at my lowest of the lows. You've been there for my wedding. You've been there for a birth of my child. Those are all great, wonderful, beautiful, beautiful moments. I have never gotten a birthday celebration on this show ever in the history of ever. Maybe a text in a social post, which is lovely, but I didn't get a cake. There's nobody walking in with a cake for me. There's nobody bringing in Disney characters for me. There's nobody. I don't know what else everybody got. But I didn't ever get on.

02:41:55 - 02:41:57 | Speaker 1:

I'll see the Boston Cree pie next time. I'm so sorry.

02:41:58 - 02:42:01 | Speaker 4:

I want nothing. No, no, no, no. Let him complain. This is so funny.

02:42:01 - 02:42:03 | Speaker 2:

I don't think I've ever heard you be this salty.

02:42:03 - 02:42:32 | Speaker 4:

Because it's, in five years, I didn't even realize it. I didn't realize it didn't happen. But then you realize it, and you're like, wait a minute. Where's my celebration? And then I go down the rabbit hole Oh, that's because you're the forgotten stepchild Of the show And it doesn't matter And I don't want a birthday I don't want anything now Because I had to tell you And if I had to tell you Then it's a pity birthday party I don't want a pity birthday party I don't want anything Okay

02:42:32 - 02:42:34 | Speaker 1:

Okay, Prince Harry

02:42:34 - 02:42:37 | Speaker 5:

Oh, man

02:42:37 - 02:42:38 | Speaker 1:

You weren't even here

02:42:38 - 02:42:41 | Speaker 5:

Write a book, Mike I will write a book

02:42:41 - 02:42:45 | Speaker 1:

That's why I feel okay saying all these things Because I wasn't even here for it

02:42:45 - 02:43:20 | Speaker 5:

Let me just say this to you I'm done with birthdays I agree with you Everybody just take their birthdays off Listen, I don't even want people to celebrate my birthday And all it is is a headache For whoever the producer is of the show When somebody has a birthday To buy them a cheap Grocery store cake And hang up a bunch of balloons And stuff like that I said to our past producers Actually the last two producers I said, what's the most annoying thing that you have to do as a producer of the show? This is no joke. I asked both of them this question, the last two.

02:43:21 - 02:43:30 | Speaker 4:

They both said, do the birthday stuff for people on the show. Yet they all did birthday stuff for everybody else on the show.

02:43:30 - 02:43:47 | Speaker 3:

Well, it started because we had a producer that was really into planning birthday parties. And Mojo and I both said we don't celebrate. We're already in the public eye enough. We don't need to pat each other on the back for having a birthday. Like, to us, we don't want to have a whole... It's not interesting radio to have a birthday party on the radio.

02:43:47 - 02:43:54 | Speaker 5:

Well, it is nice to recognize each other, but it's also... It's a stress for the poor person that has to go out and get all the stuff.

02:43:54 - 02:44:06 | Speaker 2:

You know what we should do is we should enact what the kids, well, I say used to be allowed to do, because you can't even do this anymore in schools, at least not at Lucy's school. And you have to bring in a birthday treat when it's your birthday.

02:44:07 - 02:44:09 | Speaker 5:

Oh, there you go. Wouldn't that be self-ability?

02:44:09 - 02:44:12 | Speaker 4:

Let's start it with Mike

02:44:12 - 02:44:17 | Speaker 2:

That's what you had to do When you were little And it was like the best

02:44:17 - 02:44:22 | Speaker 1:

Nobody's done anything for me And Shannon goes, you do something for us

02:44:22 - 02:44:31 | Speaker 2:

No, but the reason I said that Is because then it takes the pressure Off of everybody else You just bring in something You want to bring in

02:44:31 - 02:44:35 | Speaker 3:

Mike, what are you going to bring us For your birthday?

02:44:36 - 02:44:38 | Speaker 5:

Everybody's off on vacation I'm not doing anything.

02:44:38 - 02:44:41 | Speaker 2:

By the way, nobody's off on vacation that week except for Mojo.

02:44:41 - 02:44:45 | Speaker 5:

Yes, I am the only one off. They will celebrate your birthday, Mike, and a happy birthday, Wes.

02:44:45 - 02:44:46 | Speaker 2:

If we remember.

02:44:46 - 02:44:48 | Speaker 4:

Please bring us coffee. Oh, yeah.

02:44:48 - 02:44:48 | Speaker 2:

Please bring donuts.

02:44:49 - 02:44:57 | Speaker 5:

Let me also just say this to you, Michael. As far as you being the, you think you're the, what did you say?

02:44:58 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 3:

The forgotten stepchild.

02:45:00 - 02:45:01 | Speaker 4:

Bastard stepchild, what do you say?

02:45:01 - 02:45:03 | Speaker 5:

I didn't say bastard, but that'll work too.

02:45:03 - 02:45:05 | Speaker 4:

What did you call yourself? The ugly stepchild.

02:45:05 - 02:45:06 | Speaker 5:

The ugly stepchild, yes.

02:45:07 - 02:45:10 | Speaker 4:

I gave that honor to Reese a while ago, and he wants that honor.

02:45:10 - 02:45:11 | Speaker 5:

Right, Reese? Right.

02:45:11 - 02:45:13 | Speaker 4:

So you do not take that honor.

02:45:13 - 02:45:18 | Speaker 5:

How was your birthday cake, Reese? Was it delicious this year? It was so good, Mike. If only you were here to try it.

02:45:18 - 02:45:26 | Speaker 4:

And you know what's amazing? Guess what? I was not in the studio that day, and you still got a cake. I'm not going to be in the studio for that day. Guess what? Mike, still get a cake.

02:45:26 - 02:45:29 | Speaker 5:

I want nothing. I had to say something. I don't want it now.

02:45:29 - 02:45:33 | Speaker 3:

Well, you can't say something and then not want anything. Yes, I can. So now you've got to bring in something.

02:45:34 - 02:45:42 | Speaker 4:

Let me tell you something also. We've got budgetary things here. Reese, what did they give you for your birthday? What was your birthday? What did it consist of?

02:45:43 - 02:45:48 | Speaker 1:

I got a cake and I got a cake. You got a cake. I brought in a little gift.

02:45:48 - 02:46:06 | Speaker 4:

It cost me, well, no, I'm saying the stuff that they did for the celebratory. It cost me $45 out of my personal pocket for your birthday cake. times how many people on the show? One, two, three, four, five, six, seven. Seven people. Well, don't count Mike.

02:46:06 - 02:46:07 | Speaker 6:

He doesn't get anything.

02:46:07 - 02:46:29 | Speaker 4:

No, I'm saying if Mike was there. Mike, do you understand? We would have to fire a person here if we have to keep on doing this with these birthdays. It would probably be somebody in the office settings. They would have to do a budgetary. They would do a rift, and they would do a layoff or something. I don't know. But I get a cake is what you're saying. But you get your cake.

02:46:29 - 02:46:33 | Speaker 6:

We've recognized you on your birthday every year. Do a big thing on the air and celebrate.

02:46:34 - 02:46:37 | Speaker 5:

No, we haven't. We haven't been on the air. We're not on the air.

02:46:37 - 02:46:45 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Karen, I was going to say, I'm not calling Mike a Karen. I'm just calling you. I'm calling you, Karen. Hi, Karen.

02:46:46 - 02:46:50 | Speaker 2:

I just wanted to wish Mike a really, really, really happy birthday.

02:46:51 - 02:46:53 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, thank you. You're welcome.

02:46:54 - 02:46:56 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. It's not until February 21st. You know what?

02:46:56 - 02:47:04 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to say this to you, Mike. Spike is the one that got screwed the most. This poor guy never got a birthday ever because his birthday was in July.

02:47:04 - 02:47:05 | Speaker 6:

Summer birthday.

02:47:05 - 02:47:06 | Speaker 4:

And Megan, you too.

02:47:06 - 02:47:07 | Speaker 6:

A lot of times we're on vacation.

02:47:07 - 02:47:11 | Speaker 4:

You never got kid birthdays. Summer birthdays are tough. You never got kid birthday parties in school.

02:47:11 - 02:47:19 | Speaker 3:

Did they make you pick, like, your half birthday to celebrate or something? No. In school? That's what they make Smith do. They make him pick, like, a random day.

02:47:19 - 02:47:22 | Speaker 4:

Andy wants to say something to you, Mike. What do you want to say to Mike, Andy?

02:47:23 - 02:47:29 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I think Mike this year needs to bring in his own cake and eat it in front of everyone and don't share any of it.

02:47:30 - 02:47:35 | Speaker 4:

There you go. That's a good idea. That's what Shannon was saying. I do like that, but I still got to bring in my own thing.

02:47:35 - 02:47:39 | Speaker 3:

No, I didn't say that. I said bring in a treat to share. Treats for everybody. For us.

02:47:42 - 02:47:49 | Speaker 4:

You know what? Maybe we just go on record and say no more birthdays. We just put a nice picture of you on social media.

02:47:50 - 02:47:51 | Speaker 6:

Are you happy now, Mike? You ruined it for everyone.

02:47:51 - 02:47:56 | Speaker 4:

You're exactly how I figured this would go. You just got, listen.

02:47:56 - 02:47:58 | Speaker 3:

Steal the joy from everybody's special day.

02:47:58 - 02:48:01 | Speaker 4:

You just got birthdays canceled on the Mojo in the Morning show.

02:48:01 - 02:48:04 | Speaker 5:

I really like this idea, guys.

02:48:04 - 02:48:10 | Speaker 4:

Yes. Yeah. So dumb. Yeah. And wait, Shannon, your birthday is next week.

02:48:10 - 02:48:11 | Speaker 3:

But you know what? I took the day off.

02:48:12 - 02:48:14 | Speaker 4:

Your birthday has been canceled.

02:48:14 - 02:48:15 | Speaker 3:

Don't even worry about it.

02:48:15 - 02:48:23 | Speaker 4:

And I think Shannon's got a big birthday next week, too. I think it's a monumental birthday. So, Mike, how do you feel with that?

02:48:23 - 02:48:24 | Speaker 5:

Can I have her cake then?

02:48:27 - 02:48:40 | Speaker 4:

All right. Well, listen, if you want, call Chelsea up and tell her I'm not taking that week off and we're not going away. We're not doing that. Wow. And you ruined a vacation. I'm going to cancel vacation for Mike. So I can be here.

02:48:41 - 02:48:44 | Speaker 5:

What mom guilt thing you guys have ever done to me? What day of the week is your birthday?

02:48:46 - 02:48:57 | Speaker 4:

Tuesday, I think. What is the date? February 21st. February 21st. That happens to fall on a Tuesday. So, all right. It's the same day as the show's anniversary.

02:48:58 - 02:49:01 | Speaker 6:

Yes. So we always celebrate the Mojo on the morning's birth.

02:49:01 - 02:49:08 | Speaker 4:

No, I got to be honest with you. I like not being here for that anniversary. I like not being part of that whole thing.

02:49:09 - 02:49:12 | Speaker 5:

Mike's birthday? Yeah. No. Same.

02:49:13 - 02:49:30 | Speaker 4:

And that date. I say, you know what? The day that I like to celebrate is January 1st. If I walk into the building and my key card still works once the new year happens, that makes me feel good. All right, Mike, we will figure something out for your birthday.

02:49:30 - 02:49:33 | Speaker 5:

I don't want anything. I just wanted to complain about it, and I did.

02:49:34 - 02:49:36 | Speaker 4:

Do you really not want anything, or are you just complaining about it?

02:49:36 - 02:49:42 | Speaker 5:

No, because now I've said something. Okay, you got it off your chest. Yes, yeah, yeah, I'm done.

02:49:42 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 4:

Well, happy birthday. All right. Shannon brought up a really interesting question earlier this morning to us. Is it really interesting? Well, it's not really interesting. I'm just setting up this topic. No, I'm just kidding. No, it is interesting. You know how guys, every guy puts their hands down their pants?

02:50:00 - 02:50:28 | Speaker 3:

like just all of you guys do it in the studio you do it I see guys in public doing it like you put one hand down underneath like you're like in your pants yeah and I asked Wes about this I'm like why do guys do that he sleeps sometimes that way with one hand like down his pants I'm like it's still there I promise you it's not going anywhere and he said no it's it's like it's just like a thing like it's a habit I don't know if it if my hand's cold or what whatever it is it is that why you

02:50:28 - 02:50:34 | Speaker 2:

guys do it honestly honestly i do it to warm my hands my wife thinks i do it to touch my my privates

02:50:34 - 02:51:03 | Speaker 3:

but it is warm hands it's okay so i was like what is the female equivalent of that of the hand down the pants checking on the penis for the guys and i i had to i had to think about this for a second and then he called me out and he said you do something and i don't even know if you realize you do it all the time but sometimes i stick my hand down the top of my shirt and into the side of my bra because there's a lot of extra space in my bra and i just like keep it right there

02:51:03 - 02:51:06 | Speaker 4:

i was gonna say but how do you get warmth when there's nothing

02:51:06 - 02:51:15 | Speaker 3:

because i just tuck it like almost under my armpit

02:51:15 - 02:51:21 | Speaker 2:

so is that just shannon that does that or is there another is that a girl thing yeah like

02:51:21 - 02:51:22 | Speaker 3:

what is the girl equivalent to the hand

02:51:22 - 02:51:40 | Speaker 2:

on the pants? Or are there any girls that do their hands down their pants, too, like that? Like, just as they're watching television, they put their hand, like, I usually put it just in my, you know, belt, like, right there where my belt is or whatever. Ever see managers of baseball teams? Like, remember Jim Leland back in the day, like, he was the old manager of the Tigers?

02:51:41 - 02:51:44 | Speaker 1:

Now, there's guys that'll just grab their crotch in public. That guy had his hands in his

02:51:44 - 02:51:49 | Speaker 2:

pants at all times, you know, just sitting there keeping his hands in a busy place. I don't know.

02:51:49 - 02:52:05 | Speaker 4:

I don't put my hands down my pants but I put them in like a praying formation and then like put them in between my thighs all the time. You do do that. Yeah that's how I sit like 95% of the time you know sorority squats and Instagram photos I do that but like just all the time

02:52:05 - 02:52:18 | Speaker 2:

I don't know I will tell you that I wonder if there are there are women that have have places that they or things that they do that are like that What's up Mudge on the Morning? Hi

02:52:18 - 02:52:28 | Speaker 6:

Hi I wanted to speak about the topic of where do women get worn. I put my hands in my shirt, too. I do the same thing. Yeah.

02:52:29 - 02:52:32 | Speaker 1:

And is it down the neck hole, or is it up from the bottom? Where are you putting them?

02:52:33 - 02:52:50 | Speaker 6:

I put it on my boobs. I think it's the same as, like, the guys who put their hands in their pants to find warmth. I feel like my shirt, my chest, has the most warmth. It's so weird. I've been doing it since track days in high school. So it's just the best place to stay warm.

02:52:51 - 02:52:55 | Speaker 1:

Jeez, do you want to put your icy cold fingers on your nipples? I mean, that seems like that would not be comfortable.

02:52:55 - 02:52:56 | Speaker 6:

Well, it's not going that far.

02:52:57 - 02:52:58 | Speaker 1:

Don't knock it until you tried it.

02:52:59 - 02:53:02 | Speaker 6:

It's something weird. It warms up so fast. All right.

02:53:03 - 02:53:08 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Nicole? Yes. Hi. Where do you put your hands?

02:53:10 - 02:53:33 | Speaker 7:

I honestly don't have an answer for that. I don't know what the female equivalent is to guys doing that. But I do know, like, as a nursing mother, that babies like to put their hands on, like, your breast just because it's, like, a safe place for them. So maybe it stems back to something like, you know, back when you were a baby.

02:53:34 - 02:53:36 | Speaker 3:

That's actually really interesting.

02:53:36 - 02:53:36 | Speaker 7:

I don't know.

02:53:37 - 02:53:40 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. That is kind of a little baby thing. What's going on, Sarah?

02:53:41 - 02:53:52 | Speaker 9:

Hey, so my husband was actually just making fun of me last night for doing the hand under, like, my underbelly. And it's just, it's comfortable. I don't know why it's weird.

02:53:52 - 02:53:56 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, the hand, what guys do, the hand under the underbelly.

02:53:56 - 02:54:05 | Speaker 9:

Yeah, like, I fall asleep like that all the time. And then I didn't realize it until Shannon said it, but I actually do the hand in your boob thing, too. Yeah. So that's funny. Yep.

02:54:06 - 02:54:10 | Speaker 2:

Jackie does what Megan does with the hands between the thighs. Is that right?

02:54:10 - 02:54:22 | Speaker 8:

um so i do that sometimes but i'll do like one hand like just under my thighs i have the heated seats so it's like warm you know especially when i'm driving oh so well you've got to put two hands

02:54:22 - 02:54:44 | Speaker 2:

on the steering wheel that's not you didn't that's not good 10 and 2 one at a time it is funny when you get into a car and it's really cold but if you're heated you have heated seats and your heated seats like heat up really you want to warm up your hands a little bit um this is interesting Pamela? Hello? Hi, Pamela. Where do you keep your hands?

02:54:45 - 02:54:53 | Speaker 5:

Alright, whenever me and my fiance go to bed it is a literal fight between us who is going to hold his man junk.

02:54:54 - 02:54:56 | Speaker 3:

Wait, what? I'm sorry, huh?

02:54:57 - 02:54:57 | Speaker 5:

What?

02:54:57 - 02:55:29 | Speaker 7:

I have to Thank you.

02:55:00 - 02:55:07 | Speaker 5:

I fall asleep holding his man junk, not because he wants me to, but because I have to hold it. It's so warm.

02:55:07 - 02:55:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I was thinking, what's the fight? Because if you want to put your hands on there, you get precedent.

02:55:11 - 02:55:22 | Speaker 5:

Wait, so you fall asleep holding your Fiance's penis every night? Yes, I do. How does he fall asleep? How does he fall asleep? Very happy.

02:55:22 - 02:55:52 | Speaker 4:

the funniest is you ever remember that game where you would have a pole and you'd put your hand on it and then you put your hand on it and everybody would race up to the top you know what i'm talking about that's what you guys are playing with your husband's penis that's an amazing thing i fight with if i was a guy like if i was if i was a guy if yep i'd be like it's all yeah chelsea It's all yours here.

02:55:53 - 02:55:56 | Speaker 2:

All right.

02:55:56 - 02:56:23 | Speaker 4:

Top trending stories of the day. I'm going to start with this one. It was a big story earlier this morning, and I think things are back to normal. Yes, they are. The FAA lifted the grounding of flights order after two and a half hours. Here was the early morning news reporting that all planes across the country were going to be grounded because there was an issue with their major computer failure. computer systems. At the FAA that could impact flights all across the country. Let's take a

02:56:23 - 02:56:32 | Speaker 1:

live look at LaGuardia Airport from our local station WABC. Transportation correspondent Gio Benitez starts us off for the latest on this developing situation in Gio. There have already

02:56:32 - 02:57:02 | Speaker 2:

been delays. Oh absolutely George. We woke up this morning to urgent messages from airline sources because this is a major computer failure at the FAA and it is impacting flights across the country right now. Now this is a computer system that provides critical flight safety information to pilots it's called the notice to air mission systems and and it sends key safety warnings including bird strikes and without it flights from coast to coast they are delayed right now now here's what we know from the faa this is all right so they delayed those flights now this is

02:57:02 - 02:57:43 | Speaker 4:

the interesting thing they were able to figure out the system and work on it the white house says there's no evidence of a cyber attack behind the computer failure it delayed more than 4 000 flights and halted America's air traffic for the first time since 9-11. All the planes were grounded, which is kind of a scary thing, especially if you're somebody that starts wondering what's going on, to think that if this system goes down, there could be a failure that could be damaging. But according to the FAA, pilots are able to use other ways to kind of recognize that there's issues, including their system that talks to each other.

02:57:43 - 02:58:07 | Speaker 3:

Now, the big issue is over the last five years, they've really been warning about our infrastructure in general and how everything is computerized from air travel to our water supply and electric grid. And it'd be so easy. They think that's what the next target of terrorist attacks would be. But also not just terrorism. They're all aging and everything's getting so old that things fail often.

02:58:08 - 02:58:53 | Speaker 4:

There's a story that came out yesterday that has caused for a lot of, especially restaurant owners, to be upset. Millions of Americans may soon be entering the not stove season because the Biden administration is considering a nationwide ban on gas stoves, citing harmful pollutants released from those appliances. The Consumer Product Safety Commission is mulling the action after recent studies showed that emissions from the gas stoves could cause health and respiratory problems. Now, I don't know if you guys have gas or if you have electric, but I always said this. Once you have gas, you can't go to electric.

02:58:53 - 02:59:10 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I had electric in my apartment. I hated it. Oh, it's so horrible to cook on. Gas is so much better. But when you sent me this story yesterday My sister was first telling me about this over the holidays They think that her daughter's asthma might be caused by gas stoves

02:59:10 - 02:59:12 | Speaker 4:

How much is she cooking, if that's the case?

02:59:12 - 02:59:44 | Speaker 3:

Well, they have like a side hustle They do like cooking and baking and stuff Like they have this catering and cake company But there was a study out last year that I read about They think one in eight cases of asthma are caused by gas stoves And there's been a bunch of studies over the most recent years that is now the reason that they have this federal agency opening public hearings and further investigating. So there's no ban being talked on the table, but I wouldn't be surprised in the coming year or two if they start talking about that because of all these studies that have been coming out.

02:59:44 - 03:00:00 | Speaker 4:

Restaurant owners are really upset about hearing this. Stratus Morphigan is the owner of the Brooklyn Chop House, as well as a number of other restaurants. And he says that this would be detrimental to restaurants.

03:00:00 - 03:00:26 | Speaker 2:

owners let me explain it to you we lose 40 productivity by using electric by using electric if they ever inquired with small business owners i'll give them three pieces of advice get stronger filtration system get a hood system that works and basically train your staff on how to maintain it but for 35 years we continuously have obstacles in running our industry yeah

03:00:26 - 03:00:42 | Speaker 1:

The restaurant owners, you know, still talking about the fact that the shutdowns caused them to be right now, you know, behind the eight ball, trying to get back on their feet again after all the shutdowns, you know, lost a lot of customers, but also lost a lot of their employees.

03:00:42 - 03:00:48 | Speaker 4:

Well, what if they kept it, but then they were responsible for the health care coverage that would cover any work?

03:00:48 - 03:00:52 | Speaker 1:

Or maybe the maybe those filtration systems need to be in homes, too, that have gas.

03:00:52 - 03:01:00 | Speaker 5:

Well, you know what I read? The NBC report this morning on their website said it's even when the stoves aren't on, they're emitting toxic gas and stuff.

03:01:01 - 03:01:03 | Speaker 1:

What about heating in your house? What about if you have gas for heat?

03:01:04 - 03:01:51 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. I don't understand the difference. They were saying there's four different gases that are caused by stove tops. So I don't understand. All I know is I shouldn't have mentioned it to my girlfriend because she as soon as I showed her Mojo's article, she was like, oh, great. Like, she immediately runs to the organic, earth-friendly, chemical-free stuff that doesn't work. Like, when I try and clean the house, I wait until she's gone, and then I whip out the Lysol and the deadly chemicals and all that stuff. She uses the stuff that's, like, all earth-based. I don't know, like unicorn farts. I don't know what it is. It doesn't clean the pans. I can't clean. Like, she got rid of all the Teflon pots and pans, and we have, like, those stainless steel ones now. Do you do the dishes? Oh, my God. I try not to because I scrubbed a pan for 30 minutes and I couldn't get the damn egg off it because it's not nonstick.

03:01:51 - 03:01:56 | Speaker 1:

I'll take the cancer so I don't have to cook or clean the dishes.

03:01:56 - 03:01:59 | Speaker 5:

Well, this is the government in action. It'll take 20 years for anything to happen.

03:01:59 - 03:02:03 | Speaker 1:

But the government guys will still fly private planes and do all that stuff.

03:02:03 - 03:02:19 | Speaker 5:

When they said they're going to have non-electric cars by 2035, they pass a law and it says in 20 years we won't sell them anymore. They're not getting rid of our stoves that we already have. It's just like, well, maybe in 15 years, we won't be able to buy the same gas stoves we buy now unless they have new whatever.

03:02:19 - 03:03:03 | Speaker 1:

This is a big breaking story. The Pentagon has today formally dropped its COVID-19 vaccine mandate. So in a new memo sent out and signed by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, it gives commanders some discretion in how to deploy troops who are not vaccinated. And they came out saying that they're going to reevaluate all those that were forced to retire because they did not want to get the vaccines. So that story is something that you'll be hearing more and more probably later today. The lottery, this is a big one. So you guys going to go out now that it's 1.5 billion dollars?

03:03:03 - 03:03:05 | Speaker 4:

1.35. And I'll tell you why.

03:03:05 - 03:03:06 | Speaker 1:

Mega millions.

03:03:07 - 03:03:13 | Speaker 4:

Because last time, I spent over $100 in tickets because nobody was winning, and I realized, this is dumb. This is so dumb.

03:03:14 - 03:03:21 | Speaker 1:

Right. Well, it's what we talked about. It's the fact that it's getting the people who normally don't play, because I'm assuming you normally don't play.

03:03:21 - 03:03:21 | Speaker 3:

Never.

03:03:22 - 03:03:22 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

03:03:22 - 03:03:25 | Speaker 3:

I'll buy just one. I always buy just one ticket.

03:03:25 - 03:03:42 | Speaker 4:

But last time, it was, okay, it used to be once it gets over a billion dollars, I'll buy one ticket. But then there's three drawings a week, and nobody was winning for three weeks. You got caught up in the fever. And then there were work pools, and then there were friend pools, and then there were family pools. It was just, it was insane.

03:03:43 - 03:04:22 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, they're saying that more people are playing, more people are getting an opportunity. They added numbers a few years back to make the odds a little tougher. And I wonder if this will continue to go on. Like, how long will it go on before they'll eventually get a winner of this whole thing? Honestly, I'm going to tell these guys the lottery is something. it's going to end up running its course where people are going to say yeah this happened last time who cares like it was cool when it would be like a once every couple years thing that would get crazy but if you're doing it was what back a couple months ago where that happened

03:04:22 - 03:04:36 | Speaker 5:

I got four press releases yesterday from the Mega Millions Powerball national people like about this I'm like yeah I get it you can't say it's unprecedented it happens every three four months now because it takes that long to get a winner and the pots keep building up to

03:04:36 - 03:04:59 | Speaker 1:

bigger and bigger paydays can you guys guess what city in the country has the worst traffic the worst traffic in north america atlanta costing drivers an extra 300 of gas every year you say atlanta nope chicago mike's right chicago isn't that crazy i never would have i never would have thought that but chicago saw the largest increase in

03:05:00 - 03:05:46 | Speaker 3:

drivers driving out on the streets and the reason why Chicago actually has a transit system for the people that live in the suburbs to go to the you know city for work people aren't using that uh that metro system that they have they're not getting on you know uh the public transportation and they say since COVID more people are individually driving causing for more issues when it comes to travel. Other cities that are on this list, Seattle, Baltimore, Providence, and Washington are the highest cities. What's the worst city to raise a family? Where do you think is the worst place to raise a family? I was shocked by this one. Big cities? Which city in the country? Yeah, I would say it's a big city.

03:05:46 - 03:05:49 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to say L.A. Little Rock.

03:05:49 - 03:05:52 | Speaker 3:

Los Angeles is number two for the worst cities.

03:05:53 - 03:05:57 | Speaker 2:

Well, I mean, geez, for cost, New York City's got to be horrible.

03:05:57 - 03:06:06 | Speaker 3:

New York City is on the list. Actually, Yonkers is considered one of the worst places. I'm sorry, one of the best places. Excuse me. That's one of the best places. Excuse me. Take that back.

03:06:06 - 03:06:07 | Speaker 4:

Is it San Francisco?

03:06:08 - 03:06:09 | Speaker 3:

No. Denver.

03:06:10 - 03:06:10 | Speaker 4:

Oh, really?

03:06:10 - 03:08:17 | Speaker 3:

Denver ranks as the nation's worst city to raise a family, according to a study that was out about child friendliness based on seven metrics safety health care finances education leisure quality of life and home atmosphere they found they used public crime schooling household finance infrastructure amenities and health care to track this they joined los angeles minneapolis in santa clara california as the bottom of the list the worst places to raise your family. Never would have thought that. I would have thought that that would have been like a, oh, that's cool. We're going to the mountains and we're doing all that stuff. Speaking of cities, get excited about this, guys, because it could be coming sooner to us. Double Doubles are coming across the Mississippi. In-N-Out Burger, which is, ready for this, only on the West Coast right now, is moving its first location across the mississippi nashville tennessee gets the very first one i know the california-based chain in and out burger has just announced that it is expanding operations to tennessee in the coming years the restaurant's first location east of texas they will invest 125.5 million dollars in opening offices locations in tennessee they're actually going to be spread throughout Tennessee. In-N-Out Burger. By the way, I like In-N-Out Burger, but It is good. It's okay. So, we had it when, you know, Chelsea's family lives in Arizona, so we'd go back and visit, and we would go get In-N-Out Burger, like, right from the airport and I'd be like it's alright you know a red coat burger is better

03:08:17 - 03:08:19 | Speaker 4:

than that I mean a red coat burger is serious

03:08:19 - 03:08:31 | Speaker 3:
