00:03:17 - 00:04:05 | Speaker 7:

Good morning. Welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. Good day today. Got a lot coming up on today's show. First, I was just looking at the weather. I mean, it's like feels like a rainy, like like, I don't know, like a spring or fall like morning because it's really not that warm outside. It's like temperatures in the 40s. And then I was just looking at the forecast, and I had the weather guy on at a local television station. Our listening areas of the Detroit area, especially like downriver area, and then Toledo could get hit with some big snowfall. But tomorrow we could be walking in a little different than we're walking in right now.

00:04:06 - 00:04:09 | Speaker 6:

Not in here, in this studio. It's raining licorice. Look what I bought.

00:04:09 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 7:

Oh, wait, come on, did you? Oh, my gosh, I want to try some. Oh, my God. You actually, oh, my God.

00:04:13 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 6:

You bought a lot of it.

00:04:15 - 00:04:16 | Speaker 7:

Open it up. Holy cow. Look at this.

00:04:16 - 00:04:19 | Speaker 6:

Well, I bought a lot because I also knew Shannon wanted to try it. Oh, my God.

00:04:19 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 1:

I was going to say, can you leave me a few pieces so the next time I'm up there I can try it?

00:04:22 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 7:

It's willy wallaby, soft and chewy. Is that the stuff you like? This is it. And, boy, you got all the good flavors, too, because you got the red licorice, which is like the classic, but then they also have a really good watermelon licorice, which is delicious. Oh, my gosh. Hold on. Cher, would you like water? Here's watermelon.

00:04:41 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 5:

I don't like watermelon.

00:04:42 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 7:

Okay, well, then here, throw that over to Reese. Okay. There you go. Oh, that's a terrible throw. Here's classic red. Spike, what would you like?

00:04:49 - 00:04:51 | Speaker 6:

No, I'm just going to try one of Shannon's.

00:04:51 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 7:

I don't know. I'm not a licorice guy.

00:04:53 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 5:

I'm seriously opening this right now.

00:04:54 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 7:

I'm going to say this to you. You have this licorice. This licorice ain't like any other.

00:05:00 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 1:

licorice you got excited about it yesterday like i get excited about a beer i was like wow he knows

00:05:05 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 4:

his licorice yep you're not joking it is so good that sounds so sexy shannon yeah i have no shame

00:05:13 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 2:

anymore by the way by the way this is just so everybody knows this is one of those ones where i might have to go poop myself because it's not not gluten-free oh really yeah i thought that was It's special, like it's vegan or something like that, isn't it? It is vegan.

00:05:29 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 4:

No, licorice has gelatin. This is vegan, though.

00:05:31 - 00:05:34 | Speaker 2:

This is vegan? I think every licorice is going to be vegan, don't you think?

00:05:35 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 4:

No, but this one is. This one is.

00:05:37 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really? Mmm, so good.

00:05:39 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 4:

Gelatin is made from animals.

00:05:41 - 00:05:45 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it says vegan. So good. Who picks licorice as their favorite candy?

00:05:45 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 2:

I'm telling you, it is so good. It is. It's different than... Excuse me. I like Twizzlers better than Red Vines. I like Red Vines. Red vines taste like chalky, like crappy. Plastic, I love it. Plastic, oh, it's awful. Give me the red vines.

00:06:01 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 4:

But can we all agree that the best Twizzlers are the strawberry pull-apart ones? Agreed. And not the ones that are, like, together?

00:06:07 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 2:

Try the classic red. It's so good. Is that the one sugar?

00:06:11 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 3:

Everyone's dad loved Twizzlers, like, or is that just my dad? Oh, no.

00:06:16 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 2:

I think so. I think it's a dad thing. Thank you, Spike. This is delicious. Okay, I got it. Thank you. By the way, where'd you find the smaller bags? because I like the smaller bags because the bigger ones are too tempting.

00:06:26 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 1:

I was in Dollar General, believe it or not. Dollar General had it. Dollar General sells this? Yep. I thought it was fancy licorice. It is fancy, but also affordable.

00:06:36 - 00:06:36 | Unknown:

Isn't it?

00:06:37 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 1:

Which is actually how we describe Megan, too. Fancy, but affordable. You butthole.

00:06:46 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 2:

Was it tempting for you, though? You say you're not a licorice fan. I just tried one.

00:06:50 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 1:

It's okay. I'm not a big fan of licorice. But you'll make fun of me And I know Megan will make fun of me This is her chance Because while I was in there I also grabbed a bag of Werther's old man candy

00:07:01 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 3:

It is good though It's so easy to make fun of somebody with Werther's But they are delicious They're a reason why everybody loves them

00:07:09 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 1:

Is this before or after your nap?

00:07:12 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 2:

You know what else is to me old person candy? Brock's Anything Brock's Or the little strawberries in the foil wrappers Yes, those are.

00:07:22 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 1:

When they did the story last week about how they're finding microplastics in our food, I'm like, well, yeah, we ate Brock's growing up. That's got to be plastic, right?

00:07:30 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 2:

That's delicious. All right. Well, this is going to be hard to put down. This is going to be hard to put down. This is going to be like, seriously. But so last night I got to spend the evening with Megan. I cannot wait to hear about it. And was the third wheel of a date that she was on. So she was going on a dinner date last night, and you were planning on going to Ronin Sushi or something like that, from what I heard? Ooh, hello.

00:08:01 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Scott. Is it?

00:08:03 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 2:

Yes. I don't know. I haven't been there. Yeah. Instead, the plans were changed because?

00:08:08 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 4:

Because of freaking Mojo. Mojo ruins everything. He wanted to spend time together. No, thank you. I had high-end sushi on the line, and that was ripped from my grubby little paws because Marjorie wanted to go to something fine yesterday.

00:08:25 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 1:

Did he crash your date? What happened?

00:08:27 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 4:

Yes. I literally, okay, so from Ronan's from my house, I love Royal Oak. I hate how far away it is for me. It's like an hour and 20 minutes, right? So we were having dinner. I have to leave super early. Whatever. It's fine. I will literally drop everything to go to Royal Oak. I wish I lived there so bad. Anyways, side note. If anybody knows reasonable housing prices there, you let me know.

00:08:49 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 2:

Reese is looking for a roommate.

00:08:51 - 00:09:48 | Speaker 4:

Well, Reese, I'm applying. I'd love to live there. So I'm on my way up there, and I'm like maybe a half hour or so out. And I get a call from Stevie G from Zapford and Holly, and he will give you amazing deals on the Ford of your dreams. I was going to do it in my own day because my voice cut out. it was a long night last night so uh about a half hour i get a call and he goes hey uh change your plans as long as you're cool with that you gotta go to a pistons game and here's the thing i never get invited to do cool things with you guys uh because my life is really hard and nobody wants me around and so when this opportunity came up i was like well this isn't gonna come around again anytime soon let's do that and we ended up at the pistons game which was actually so much fun. I am not a basketball person at all, but, like, it was so funny to have.

00:09:48 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 2:

It's kind of fun to go to a basketball game with, like, 15 of your closest friends.

00:09:55 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 4:

Exactly.

00:09:55 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Literally not the people that we were with, but that was all the people that were there at the game.

00:10:00 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 3:

so like literally i always get so not irritated but just a little like eye rolls when you go to a sporting event and people are like what's going on what are the rules because i'm a big football and hockey girl those are like my two sports i do not do baseball and i do not do basketball but i love going to games but we're sitting there i was like so is it 10 minute halves wait no a 20 minute sport would not be a professional sport is it 10 minute third period is it periods is why are there so many breaks? How many fouls to get knocked out? How many guys are on a team? How long do they play? Everybody was so annoyed with me. I think Steve would have rather gone out to dinner than put up with me asking 8,000

00:10:42 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 2:

questions during the game. Let me clarify a few things here because number one, I don't want Mike upset with me for not inviting him to the game. I'm used

00:10:51 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 3:

to it. Mike, I did

00:10:53 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 2:

not invite Megan to the game. Exactly. I invited Steve to the game.

00:10:57 - 00:11:02 | Speaker 3:

Steve had plans with Megan

00:11:02 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 2:

And I said, Steve, hey, you want to go Tony, Hassan and myself Were taking a bunch of iHeart clients To the iHeart suite And I said, hey, do you want to go to the game? Invite him out there He goes, I'm going to dinner with Megan And I said, we'll see if Megan wants to come It would be fun and it would be closer for Megan Than going to wherever you guys were going because of downtown Detroit's easier to get to from Toledo. So that's the excuse. So, Mike, you're always invited, okay? And happy early birthday.

00:11:39 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 3:

Mike, that's why I said I got to take advantage of this opportunity because I knew I wasn't getting invited to the next one. It was only because I got lucky with Steve. The problem is the photo that Mojo decided to post.

00:11:51 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah. Do you see, by the way, the comments that people are saying? People love you guys. Oh, my God. People are like, people are like, there he goes again, always interjecting himself into everything. And my favorite was the, there's one woman that goes, why does he have to do that? He needs to stop interrupting Megan's love affair. I think he likes her single, which I do. I kind of like her single. It's kind of fun to, you know. If I could actually have it in a perfect world, Megan forever would just be dating. And every night she'd have to go on a date with me.

00:12:27 - 00:12:29 | Speaker 3:

That is my absolute nightmare.

00:12:30 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 2:

No. So I thought it was fun. And actually, Tony Travato is so much fun when you get him out of the building, our boss. And his kids are fantastic. He's got amazing kids, Nick and Chris. And then Hassan. I mean, my God, that guy is. First off, the suites there are beautiful. But the company bought everything but booze. So Hassan was buying booze at the bar downstairs.

00:12:55 - 00:12:58 | Speaker 1:

And he doesn't buy a beer. He will go all out.

00:12:58 - 00:13:36 | Speaker 2:

It's craziness. We got to get him new clients because, to be honest with you, I think he's going to need more for affordability purposes because I think he spent so much money on booze. But it was fun. But to see Megan in this happy place with Steve, I think she does this whole thing where she's the girl that pretends that she doesn't know things. Megan was an athlete growing up. She played sports. She was a big soccer player and stuff. So, how does this game work? They take the ball and they do what with it? And she's doing it and kind of like, you know how she does that? Is that a flirty thing too when you're with guys?

00:13:36 - 00:13:36 | Speaker 1:

You do that?

00:13:37 - 00:13:40 | Speaker 3:

No, 100%. Everybody loves a dumb girl, right?

00:13:41 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 1:

So, are we admitting though? Let's take a step back from the sports talk. Are we admitting that you were flirting with Steve Gabbar legitimately?

00:13:49 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 3:

No.

00:13:49 - 00:13:57 | Speaker 1:

Because I feel like You guys do enjoy Hanging out together Is that it or is there more?

00:13:57 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 3:

No that's it I love him I totally love him but But that's it You know what they're like

00:14:03 - 00:14:55 | Speaker 2:

Can I tell you what I think they are Shannon when I see them They're really cute with each other because they give each other crap And Steve is very generous And sweet and stuff And honestly I'll date him Because he is very generous and sweet But I think that they're like the best friends that maybe one day could either hook up with each other or get married. Like, you know how you have like the best girl or guy friend that you hang out with all the time? And you're like, there is no way possible I could ever see myself romantically involved with them. And then next thing you know, you're getting a wedding invitation that guess who's getting married? You know, something like that. And I think that they're actually fun with each other. Because Steve talks about the girls that he dates, and then Megan will talk about, you know, the boys. Okay. Because Megan doesn't date men. No. She dates boys.

00:14:55 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 3:

Yes. 100% true. And I hope every single one of my exes. Or girls.

00:15:00 - 00:15:07 | Speaker 6:

girls yeah she doesn't date women she dates girls they also true no but i think where steve and i

00:15:07 - 00:15:12 | Speaker 4:

really get along is because you and mojo you and steve are friends and steve and i mostly talk

00:15:12 - 00:15:26 | Speaker 6:

crap about you i think megan would date my wife because anytime we ever talk she always just talks about my wife uh wendy good morning wendy you've been itching you're itching for this

00:15:26 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 5:

haven't you yes i have i saw it when i first got up this morning on instagram and i was like oh i can't wait to turn it on and as soon as i got in the car i was you guys were talking about licorice and i'm like no no no talk about megan i want to hear about the date and so i just it looks super cute you look super cute and you're cute together so i want to hear more oh well here's the thing i

00:15:53 - 00:16:11 | Speaker 4:

I don't know if you know this, but I am cute with everybody I am with. I'm kidding. Oh, I hate that I just said that. That was a joke. Yeah, I love Steve. I think actually, Mojo, you're right. Steve and I should have a pact where, like, if I am not married by the time I'm 45, then I'll marry him.

00:16:12 - 00:16:20 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, because at that point, because Steve's older than you, Steve will be, like, with a walker, depends, and near death.

00:16:20 - 00:16:22 | Speaker 4:

We all know that's my ideal man.

00:16:22 - 00:17:10 | Speaker 6:

It's true. Wendy can I tell you what was the funniest was we were sitting in a suite I don't know if you ever see like at sporting events they have these like little boxes and suites and stuff which are kind of cool and they have chairs they have like seats in them so I'm sitting right in the front row of the seat and I have no idea where Steve is and mind you my date was my 17 year old son who said hey we should probably go because you look like you're falling asleep so I FaceTimed Steve, because I didn't see him, thinking that Steve was, like, out of the suite, walking around with Megan, maybe getting a drink or something. He was the row behind me. I'm like, where are you? He's like, I'm right here, and then I'm looking, I'm going, wait a second. That guy looks like he's sitting right by you. But it was

00:17:10 - 00:17:15 | Speaker 2:

fun. That's how fun the Pistons game was. You were FaceTiming people during the game.

00:17:16 - 00:17:25 | Speaker 6:

Actually, and that shows you, usually at Little Caesars arena, you can't even get, like, a signal to FaceTime. That's how few people that were actually there. Wendy, thank you.

00:17:25 - 00:17:31 | Speaker 5:

Well, I hope you go on more dates, and I hope we get to hear about more dates with you and Steve, because you guys are super cute.

00:17:31 - 00:17:34 | Speaker 2:

But make Steve turn his phone off so he can't get crashed again.

00:17:35 - 00:17:44 | Speaker 4:

I also want you to know, because you just said that, Mojo is now going to expect me to go on dates with people, and you've just totally taken my Netflix and chill time from me. I dare you.

00:17:45 - 00:17:52 | Speaker 6:

Don't you Don't you agree, Wendy, that Megan is fun When she talks about the people That she'll go out with?

00:17:53 - 00:17:55 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, Megan's always fun

00:17:55 - 00:17:58 | Speaker 6:

Yeah Well, not always, I don't know

00:17:58 - 00:18:01 | Speaker 4:

This is why we talk bad about you Behind your back

00:18:01 - 00:18:03 | Speaker 6:

If you'd like, I can tell you a couple of times

00:18:03 - 00:18:14 | Speaker 3:

How smart are you? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day We have to go back in time Where we give you a bunch of events And you tell us what year it happened

00:18:14 - 00:18:28 | Speaker 6:

This was the year that San Francisco transformed itself into Gotham City, so a five-year-old little boy in remission from leukemia could live his dream of being Batman.

00:18:28 - 00:18:37 | Speaker 1:

The thousands of people who turned San Francisco into Gotham City on Friday all had one goal, to make a little boy's superhero dream come true.

00:18:37 - 00:18:54 | Speaker 2:

The big new words in this year, twerk and selfie. Selfie has officially made its way into the dictionary. Selfie joins 150 other new words and phrases, including hashtag catfish as a verb. And the big song from Lorde.

00:18:56 - 00:19:05 | Speaker 6:

We'll set you up with tickets to go see Louie Tomlinson in concert. What year was that? Taylor Swift tickets coming up in moments, plus Shannon's Dirty. Don't go anywhere.

00:19:06 - 00:19:21 | Speaker 3:

Call us and tell us what year that stuff happened. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. How good is your memory? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:19:21 - 00:19:35 | Speaker 6:

One of the coolest stories I've ever seen, but the city of San Francisco transformed itself into Gotham City so that a five-year-old little boy named Miles, who was in remission for having leukemia, could live his dream of being Batman.

00:19:35 - 00:19:44 | Speaker 1:

The thousands of people who turned San Francisco into Gotham City on Friday all had one goal, to make a little boy's superhero dream come true.

00:19:45 - 00:20:00 | Speaker 2:

Selfie and twerk were the big words. Selfie has officially made its way into the dictionary. Selfie joins 150 other new words and phrases, including hashtag catfish as a verb. And big song was Royals from...

00:20:00 - 00:20:02 | Speaker 1:

Lord. Brittany, what year did all this happen?

00:20:03 - 00:20:05 | Speaker 2:

Was it 2013? It was.

00:20:05 - 00:20:08 | Speaker 1:

Congratulations to you. We're setting you up with the prize.

00:20:09 - 00:20:09 | Speaker 2:

Yay!

00:20:10 - 00:20:12 | Speaker 1:

Louis Tomlinson tickets. Congratulations.

00:20:13 - 00:20:14 | Speaker 2:

I don't know who that is,

00:20:14 - 00:20:17 | Speaker 1:

but... Oh, really? Were you a One Direction fan?

00:20:19 - 00:20:19 | Speaker 2:

No.

00:20:20 - 00:20:22 | Speaker 1:

Oh, man. Okay, so you just got

00:20:22 - 00:20:25 | Speaker 2:

the prize. I'm sure it'll be fun because I've never been to a concert. Oh, that's cool.

00:20:25 - 00:20:32 | Speaker 1:

The question for you, would you like us to sub out the prize? And we normally don't do this, but I would only do it for you.

00:21:41 - 00:21:43 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the mornings, Dirty on the

00:21:43 - 00:21:45 | Speaker 1:

30. Alright, what's going on in the Dirty on the

00:21:45 - 00:22:18 | Speaker 3:

30 this morning, Shannon? Well, let's give you a little update on Buffalo Bill's safety. Jamar Hamlin, he has been discharged from that hospital in Buffalo, which is just absolutely incredible to me. Wow, now home? Nine days after he went into cardiac arrest during that game in Cincinnati, Dr. Jamie Nadley, the leader of DeMar's care team, said we've completed a series of tests and evaluations. And in consultation with team physicians, we are confident that DeMar can be safely discharged to continue his rehabilitation at home and with the bills.

00:22:18 - 00:22:39 | Speaker 1:

I saw a doctor yesterday on ESPN who had been part of his care at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. and said that he's reacting well, he's adjusting well, and they believe that evaluations will allow him to be back out on a football field, that this guy is not done playing football.

00:22:39 - 00:22:44 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that crazy? I mean, nine days ago, we didn't even know if he was going to survive.

00:22:44 - 00:23:01 | Speaker 1:

And the amazing thing is I've talked to doctors that are friends of mine that helped me with my heart issue, and they said, you know what? There's many people that go into cardiac arrest That do jobs every single day You know, construction workers And people that work on the line of Ford

00:23:01 - 00:23:05 | Speaker 2:

This is different People are going to play different around him

00:23:05 - 00:23:22 | Speaker 1:

It's going to be hard for him to come back You think people are going to play Less aggressive because of what they know Yeah, wouldn't you? I don't know Look at Tua Tambalua Or whatever his name is from Miami And the guy had crazy concussions And guys were still

00:23:22 - 00:23:29 | Speaker 2:

you know, sacking him. Everybody thought this guy was dead. Yeah. I don't know.

00:23:29 - 00:23:44 | Speaker 1:

I can't see that people will change that. I think that when you're a professional athlete, you're focused on what you're doing. And if the guy, if he decides he's going to go back out on the field and play, which I hope he does, I hope this doesn't end his career, I think people will treat him like they treat everybody else.

00:23:44 - 00:23:49 | Speaker 2:

I don't want it to end his football career. I think he should go do something else in football. I just don't think he should be on the field.

00:23:49 - 00:24:03 | Speaker 1:

Question, have you treated me any differently, Mike, with lack of giving me less stress because of my heart? Well, no, but... See? Yeah, now I'm taking offense to this whole thing.

00:24:03 - 00:24:13 | Speaker 3:

After winning a Golden Globe for White Lotus, Jennifer Coolidge shared that her dream acting role would be to play this character.

00:24:13 - 00:24:17 | Speaker 1:

So now, what's the ultimate dream role for you now?

00:24:17 - 00:24:28 | Speaker 3:

I've always wanted to play a dolphin. A dolphin? A dolphin. No, do I get flipper? Yeah, you know, I mean, I got some sort of, you know, like a something like that.

00:24:28 - 00:24:29 | Speaker 1:

Like an animated?

00:24:30 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 3:

No, they even ask her if it's animated and she goes, no. Well, Olivia Wilde saw the interview and tweeted, I will make this happen. An update on what's going on with the Flash star Ezra Miller. Man, he is just in a whole mess of legal trouble. He is expected to plead guilty to a lesser charge of unlawful trespassing in a Vermont burglary.

00:25:00 - 00:26:25 | Speaker 2:

case with two other charges against him being dropped so if you don't know what happened here he entered a plea deal after being accused of stealing a bunch of bottles of alcohol from the pantry of one of his neighbors this happened last spring he was charged with burglary in the summer because of it well a clerk for vermont superior court said that ezra and the neighbor have agreed to drop two of those charges a larceny charge and another of burglary in an unoccupied dwelling Prosecutors are recommending 90 days in a suspended sentence In addition to a year's probation and a fine Now the max sentence would have been 26 years Had he been facing all of those charges So he definitely got lucky And these Vermont charges are only one little piece Of a whole bunch of legal issues that Ezra has faced in the past year He was arrested twice in Hawaii for disorderly conduct Harassment and second degree assault He was also accused of choking a woman in a bar So big, big mess And Bed Bath & Beyond announced another round of store closures, including a handful in Michigan. 62 Bed Bath & Beyonds will close in addition to the 56 stores they announced in September, bringing the total of store closings to 120. California losing the most with eight stores. Florida will lose six. Michigan will lose five. Some Bye Bye Baby stores also included on that list, but the company said it had a sales decline of 33% over the past year.

00:26:25 - 00:26:30 | Speaker 4:

And instead of reevaluating their prices, they just went with, let's close the place down.

00:26:31 - 00:26:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. That's a choice. Yeah. For all of today's dirty, check out the dirty page on mojointhemorning.com. Mojo in the morning's dirt. And another phone scam coming up in minutes.

00:26:43 - 00:27:32 | Speaker 1:

All right, it is Mojo in the morning, your home of the phone scams. We're going to do one right now. Teresa works at Walmart and she put up in the break room a flyer trying to get rid of her pet snakes that her son had that he can no longer have anymore because he lives in a place that won't allow it. Well, she's been getting nonstop calls from people asking for him and kind of has annoyed her. So Spike decided he was going to take that and call her trying to see if he can get these snakes. It's a mojo in the morning phone scam. hello hello is this theresa uh this is she hi i saw your flyer in the break room at work

00:27:32 - 00:27:49 | Speaker 4:

i'm so sorry i have to take that down i we gave them away you gave away the snakes yeah we found a really great home for them do you have any other snakes no no we don't have any others. I'm so sorry to have wasted your time. I'll take that down. Is your store getting any

00:27:57 - 00:28:17 | Speaker 4:

My son's gone to college and we're done with our snake period. Okay. Yeah. Cause I was in work and that's where I saw your ad for your pet shop i'm so sorry i put that up because we wanted to find a good home for the

00:28:17 - 00:28:23 | Speaker 3:

So you're saying you're not selling – wait, I just want to make sure I get this right. You say you're not selling snakes anymore?

00:28:47 - 00:29:02 | Speaker 4:

We never were selling snakes. Okay, I'll just try to make this clear. So basically we just had snakes as pets, my son did, and now we've given them away. So if we don't have any more snakes, then we're not getting them.

00:29:02 - 00:29:06 | Speaker 3:

Okay, gotcha. No more snakes. Right. What animals are you selling then?

00:29:06 - 00:29:31 | Speaker 4:

Do you have any hedgehogs? No. Chinchillas? We don't have any other. Do you have any flying squirrels or lemurs or sugar gliders? No, we don't have any. What about chameleons or water dragons?

00:29:46 - 00:29:46 | Speaker 4:

That is all we have.

00:29:47 - 00:29:51 | Speaker 3:

What about box turtles? We're not a pet store. So you don't have any fire-bellied toads?

00:29:52 - 00:29:59 | Speaker 4:

No, we do not have fire-bellied toads nor any other creatures like that. We have one dog, which we are keeping. We have.

00:30:00 - 00:30:13 | Speaker 2:

snakes which we gave away we don't have anything else and we're not getting anything else we're not a pet store we're just a home a regular old home and i put up the flyer at the store just to find a good home for the snakes because my son went off to college there are no other

Question number two. Which previous American Idol judge said that she would happily work with Janet Jackson again after being her choreographer?

00:32:27 - 00:32:27 | Speaker 2:

00:32:40 - 00:32:41 | Speaker 2:

California.

00:32:41 - 00:32:59 | Speaker 1:

Question number four. This Justice League superhero and the Flash actor was caught stealing alcohol from a neighbor's pantry and has pled guilty to trespassing. Three seconds.

00:33:00 - 00:33:01 | Speaker 2:

Can you repeat the question?

00:33:01 - 00:33:53 | Speaker 1:

This Justice League superhero and the Flash actor was caught stealing alcohol from a neighbor's pantry and has pled guilty to trespassing. you have to pass on that yeah and question number five coming soon to netflix is a movie six triple eight which tells the story of an all-black and female world war uh world war two battalion the movie will star carrie washington and which other inspiring black actress will it be a oprah winfrey b kiki palmer or c angelica uh bassett or angela angela bassett i'm sorry i know i said angelica kiki palmer uh b all right let's bring

the champ back from a soundproof area well i think you can give chelsea one of the drops uh she did not have a good performance chelsea you only got one right why are the pretty ones always so dumb Just one. Just one.

00:34:07 - 00:34:26 | Speaker 1:

We haven't had that in a long time. Yeah. You know what it is? I think we went with a lot of questions that were kind of more obscure. But, Ethan, let's see if they're obscure for you. Question number one. Which hollaback girl pop star is being accused of cultural appropriation of Asian culture after she insisted that she was Japanese?

00:34:27 - 00:34:30 | Speaker 3:

That is Gwen Stefani. Yes. Or it's one to nothing.

00:34:30 - 00:34:40 | Speaker 1:

Question two, which previous American Idol judge said that she would happily work with Janet Jackson again after being her choreographer?

00:34:42 - 00:34:44 | Speaker 3:

Paula Abdul. Yes. Two to nothing.

00:34:45 - 00:34:55 | Speaker 1:

Question number three, the lineup for this year's Coachella was revealed featuring Bad Bunny and Frank Ocean. Which state does Coachella Festival take place?

00:34:56 - 00:34:56 | Unknown:

California.

00:34:57 - 00:34:58 | Speaker 3:

Yep. Three to one.

00:34:58 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 1:

I was, uh...

00:35:00 - 00:35:14 | Speaker 3:

I was thinking that Ethan would do good. I didn't know if he'd get all three of those correct, but question number four, this Justice League superhero and the Flash actor was caught stealing alcohol from a neighbor's pantry and has pled guilty to trespassing.

00:35:15 - 00:35:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Ezra Miller.

00:35:16 - 00:35:49 | Speaker 3:

Yes. And a perfect score if you get this one right. Coming soon to Netflix is a movie called 6888, which tells the story of an all-black and female World War II battalion. The movie will star Kerry Washington and which other inspiring black actress? A, Oprah Winfrey, B, Kiki Palmer, or C, Angela Bassett? A, Oprah? You got it. Wow. There you go.

00:35:49 - 00:35:50 | Speaker 1:

Again, he does it again.

00:35:51 - 00:36:19 | Speaker 3:

Final score, five to one. I thought that would throw people off just because people don't consider Oprah an actress, but she was. You know, The Color of Purple was obviously one of the biggest and best movies. But congratulations. You have just won your 13th in a row. Tomorrow we go for 14. You get that. Then you're coming back next week to take on Shannon, okay? Thank you. All right. Chelsea, we have a parting gift for you, okay?

00:36:20 - 00:36:22 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. Congrats, Ethan.

00:36:23 - 00:36:27 | Speaker 3:

Thank you. Hang on the phone for just one second. We'll get you set up with that. Nice to have you guys on.

00:36:27 - 00:36:29 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the Mornings 5 at 6.55.

00:36:32 - 00:37:07 | Speaker 3:

Text cheater to 95500 and you can be on a future Mojo in the Morning War of the Roses.

00:37:08 - 00:37:14 | Speaker 2:

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

00:37:14 - 00:37:16 | Speaker 3:

Jacob, why do you think your wife's cheating on you?

00:37:18 - 00:37:22 | Speaker 2:

I guess I'm not there emotionally, available physically. I don't know. That's why I'm calling you on.

00:37:23 - 00:37:24 | Speaker 3:

You're blaming yourself for it?

00:37:25 - 00:37:30 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I really don't. I have no clue whatsoever.

00:37:30 - 00:37:37 | Speaker 3:

What has she been doing that has made you feel that, you know, maybe there's somebody else in her life?

00:37:38 - 00:38:02 | Speaker 2:

She's been very vocal about how she's not in a very good mental state, And she was talking about being depressed and wanting to go, starting to do something more physical like yoga. And she has been not committing to that schedule and also has been staying out that I would consider later than normal than for someone who has a two-year-old daughter.

00:38:03 - 00:38:20 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so when you say that, like the going out and doing all this stuff, you don't believe that she's going out to try to better herself. and try to make herself feel better, you know, from what she's going through. You think she's going out with possibly another guy?

00:38:22 - 00:38:26 | Speaker 2:

I definitely think that she's not being honest with me, that's for sure. So whether or not it's with a guy.

00:38:26 - 00:38:36 | Speaker 1:

Where in there do you get that there's another guy? Because to me it just sounds like she's overwhelmed. Right, overwhelmed and maybe a little lost and just trying to figure herself out.

00:38:37 - 00:38:52 | Speaker 2:

Well, I'm constantly waiting for her to come home so we can have dinner with our daughter. And then on the weekends When she's staying out late with girlfriends That seems not like 10pm, 11pm 2, 3, 4 in the morning That seems like a normal

00:38:52 - 00:38:55 | Speaker 3:

And this is totally out of character for her

00:38:55 - 00:39:02 | Speaker 2:

I've known her since we've been to dating Because we were in high school So yeah, we're in our mid-30s So it's been quite a difference

00:39:02 - 00:39:22 | Speaker 3:

Alright, we're going to see what's going on We're going to see if she's cheating on you With the War of the Roses We hope that the you know, War of the Roses proves that Jacob is the only guy in his wife's life. We're going to make a phone call. Hang on the phone, okay? And mute your phone, too.

00:39:23 - 00:39:23 | Unknown:

00:44:47 - 00:44:50 | Speaker 1:

well not to us but you certainly do to him

00:44:50 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 2:

Well, uh, I...

00:45:00 - 00:45:08 | Speaker 5:

I, this is just, this is, this is weird. This is uncomfortable. I, I, yeah, I don't need to explain anything to all of you.

00:45:10 - 00:45:14 | Speaker 4:

It seems really weird. So it seems like you'd want to clear that up right now and explain.

00:45:17 - 00:46:35 | Speaker 3:

Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to take you guys and let you talk privately and just know, Natasha, that everything that we just heard was recorded. So hang on one second. Jacob suspected that his wife, Natasha, was cheating on him when things just started getting a little awkward with her not coming home after going out with friends. She's been going through some things. And, man, I'm telling you what, she's going through more things now with War of the Roses because she just, a few moments ago, sent flowers to another guy and a very flirtatious card that she wrote out, too. And, Mike, you also say she said something in this comment that she made to Shannon that is very suspicious. What was the comment? What's that?

00:46:36 - 00:46:43 | Speaker 1:

I felt like she was covering her tracks the whole time because she wanted to make sure no receipt was going to be sent to her.

00:46:43 - 00:46:51 | Speaker 3:

You know what? It's funny. I didn't hear that when we actually made the call initially, and I heard it when I went back and listened back to it. I'm going to play that for you right now. Take a listen.

00:46:53 - 00:47:02 | Speaker 2:

Sure. And again, I'm not going to get a receipt or anything like that. Say that one more time. I'm not going to get a receipt or anything like that. No, no. They're going directly to the person.

00:47:02 - 00:47:02 | Speaker 3:

All right.

00:47:02 - 00:47:11 | Speaker 2:

So not only did she say, try to make sure that there was no receipt. I think her message on the card said everything to just write mine.

00:47:12 - 00:47:13 | Speaker 3:

Right. Right. Yeah.

00:47:13 - 00:47:14 | Speaker 2:

Come on.

00:47:15 - 00:47:45 | Speaker 3:

You know, it's tough to catch women cheating in War of the Roses. Be blatantly honest with you. Unless we know that there's another phone number and we can do a three-way call, which we do that often on our show, and we have three-way War of the Roses coming up, I'm sure, in the coming weeks. But it's tough to get women to not be suspicious when we're calling up, where guys are a little easier. And I think also it's War of the Roses, too. Let's just say it.

00:47:45 - 00:47:47 | Speaker 4:

Women are sneakier and smarter.

00:47:47 - 00:48:20 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. And honestly, you know, the concept of offering up the roses is one of those things, too. And women necessarily, you know, don't send flowers or a lot of times to guys. But but I will say this. It's wild. I get so you get emotional when you hear a wife or a girlfriend get heartbroken by the person that they love, you know, cheating on them. I actually am really heartbroken in this case, especially when Jacob made the comment about their child really made me heartbroken.

00:48:21 - 00:48:25 | Speaker 2:

I mean, the first words out of his mouth were, you have a two-year-old daughter.

00:48:26 - 00:48:35 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah. How could you do this? And also, when he was explaining why he wanted to do the roses, he's blaming himself, it sounds like. Yeah.

00:48:36 - 00:48:40 | Speaker 4:

I guess I'm not there emotionally, available physically. I don't know.

00:48:40 - 00:48:44 | Speaker 3:

I mean, that got me, too. Is your name Helena?

00:48:45 - 00:48:46 | Speaker 5:

Yes, it is.

00:48:46 - 00:48:48 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Helena. It's Mojo in the Morning, War of the Roses.

00:48:49 - 00:49:02 | Speaker 5:

Yes. So I feel like she was a deer caught in the headlights. I feel like she thought she was not going to be caught, and all of a sudden she is, and she didn't know what to do. And truthfully, Jacob and their daughter deserve so much better than that.

00:49:03 - 00:49:15 | Speaker 3:

Well, I feel for that. I feel for a two-year-old, you know, who obviously doesn't know what's going on right now. but that child's life just completely changed, you know? Do you know any women that cheat?

00:49:16 - 00:49:33 | Speaker 5:

I do not. I've seen more guys that truthfully cheat. I'm sure women do, but I think that they kind of keep it private because I feel like they feel like they're going to be judged so much, which truthfully they should be because no one should cheat.

00:49:33 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 3:

So, you know, there is a stat that's out, and it's from last year, and it's from the Institutes of Family Studies, and they surveyed who cheats more or who is more unfaithful in infidelity in marriages, men or women. And they said, according to a general study that was done, men are more likely to cheat than women with 20% of men in 30%.

00:50:00 - 00:51:13 | Speaker 1:

13% of women having reported that their partner cheated on them. However, the gender gap varies per age. They found that if you are married between the ages of 18 and 29, that more women between those ages will go out of the marriage and will end up cheating. Where as they get older, it seems to be that more guys are the ones that cheat. I thought that would be different because I don't know, you know, I think that women to me always seem like they're more into the marriage early on. And I think that guys are the ones that are still playing and still in their dating days. And then I feel like the cheating comes into play later in a marriage for for women, because to be honest with you, they probably aren't getting as much attention from the guy as they should. But also, I also feel like there's a situation where a lot of times women, you know, have, you know, have a little bit of boredom in relationship. You know, I don't know. Comments from listeners on that? If you want to tell us, maybe you've been in this and you want to tell us what your thoughts are. 844 Mojo Live.

00:51:13 - 00:51:22 | Speaker 2:

I'd love for you to share your story on the air for others because we are getting a lot of text messages from people that heard this and immediately put them back in their situation. My ex-wife did the same thing.

00:51:22 - 00:51:46 | Speaker 1:

two-year-old son was out running around uh and that's the other thing too is i maybe i'm naive into thinking this but i would think that if you just have a baby your focus is obviously on this beautiful baby that you just went through but but then again we've had war of the roses where a woman just gives birth to a baby and she says that she wants to feel pretty again and sometimes the they they feel like going out and flirting with another male or female makes them feel

00:51:46 - 00:52:28 | Speaker 5:

pretty again what's up alexis yeah i was gonna say the same thing my heart breaks for this couple I mean, the husband admitted to being emotionally and physically unavailable, and she's a first-time mom, and it sounds like they're just overwhelmed, and they've kind of lost sight of their relationship and focusing on this baby. It takes two people to make it work, and I'm not making excuses for what she's done, but having a brand-new baby, it's challenging. And like you were just saying, women oftentimes don't feel attractive, and it sounds like he's emotionally and physically unavailable, and she's just looking for that reassurance.

00:52:29 - 00:52:45 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, really good points, and you know what? I hope they get some counseling. I know that whenever we put – like in Jacob's case, we put him in touch with Daniel Moss, our divorce attorney friend. He always makes sure that they go get counseling.

00:52:46 - 00:52:51 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I would hope they would get counseling before an attorney. I think they can work this out.

00:52:52 - 00:52:54 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Jen actually says the same thing, right, Jen?

00:52:55 - 00:53:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I agree. Just for the daughter's sake, because we don't really know what the actual circumstance is. It could have been just this one guy. So I think there's a possibility as long as they go to counseling and try to work out their issues, that's worth it for the child to try to work it out.

00:53:13 - 00:53:58 | Speaker 1:

I have a friend of mine who cheated with a married woman who just had a baby, and he made the comment to me that he had done this before, and he found that it was easier to pick up because he knew that there was no long-term commitment because they had a family. And so this guy was a single guy who, you know, slept with a lot of girls that were taken, but he would use this as an opportunity. Like when he knew that somebody just had a baby or found out, he was like, okay, I'm going to try to continue to flirt with them and see what happens. And honestly, I think that the baby situation is the thing that a lot of people are also focused on in this. What's up, Lindsay?

00:53:59 - 00:54:22 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I agree completely. After you have a baby, your body changes, your hormones are over the place, you're exhausted, you're not sleeping, your marriage is tougher, your confidence is low. And I think sometimes women, plus you have no identity other than being a mom, you know. And I think people, women, will often search for themselves by stepping outside during that fragile time.

00:54:23 - 00:54:35 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. It's too bad. Gary, comment from you. Yours is not necessarily on War of the Roses. Yours is on that stat that I read about who cheats more, men or women. Gary?

00:54:36 - 00:54:45 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, yeah. Yeah, almost. I know quite a few women that cheat. Most of the women I've slept with have been in relationships.

00:54:47 - 00:54:47 | Speaker 2:

Really?

00:54:48 - 00:54:54 | Speaker 3:

Why do you find yourself attracted to those women over and over and over again and not let that stop you?

00:54:55 - 00:54:58 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. I just, I don't know. I guess I have no boundaries.

00:55:00 - 00:55:06 | Speaker 6:

And I'm not really sure why. It's just the people that I end up finding.

00:55:07 - 00:55:18 | Speaker 3:

Is it like my friend's situation where you find that they're a little bit more vulnerable to be able to have a relationship with?

00:55:19 - 00:55:20 | Speaker 4:

I think so.

00:55:21 - 00:55:26 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Do you ever feel bad about that, knowing what you're doing to their marriage, potentially?

00:55:27 - 00:56:03 | Speaker 6:

Well, not really. I don't know. i kind of have an open marriage myself and uh i don't know i don't believe what typically a lot of people believe i don't believe monogamy is should be a thing you know we're all primal you know i don't i don't know i think different than most people do you said you kind of have an open marriage what do you mean by kind of well it goes back and forth um and we have like certain rules it's not like totally open it's not like go do whatever you want to do you know we kind

00:56:03 - 00:56:09 | Speaker 2:

of sounds very gray to me lots of gray area there is she aware of the same rules that you have

00:56:09 - 00:56:15 | Speaker 1:

yes can i ask you a question because you said you don't believe in monogamy but you chose to get

00:56:15 - 00:56:33 | Speaker 6:

married yeah i i love my wife to death you know i want to stay with her but i just like to have sex with other people yeah okay and she's okay with that most of the time all right well gary

00:56:33 - 00:56:38 | Speaker 2:

that's a yes or no question does this mean she doesn't know all the time

00:56:38 - 00:56:52 | Speaker 6:

yeah kind of yeah but you know she does you know she's been out doing what she wanted to do and i kind of go out and do what i want to do and you know it just seems to kind of work for us

00:56:52 - 00:56:57 | Speaker 3:

All right. To each his own. Potato, potato.

00:56:58 - 00:56:59 | Speaker 1:

Tomato, tomato.

00:57:00 - 00:57:01 | Speaker 3:

Take care of yourself, Gary.

00:57:02 - 00:57:02 | Speaker 6:

You too.

00:57:02 - 00:57:12 | Speaker 3:

All right. Take care of yourself. Bye. What's going on? Adam. How you doing? Good. What's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:57:13 - 00:57:45 | Speaker 4:

Hello, hello. I'm 100% not trying to defend this woman or anything. And the callers were right. There's obviously more going on, backstory here. but there's also more going on backstory pretty much at all times that this happens and i just find it interesting that when there's a guy cheating dog him out he's the worst how dare he blah blah blah now this young lady is cheating and low-key there's been support and there's reason behind it they need to figure it out and blah blah we probably should be fair if we're going to dog people out we're going to have to dog out both genders we don't kind of get to pick

00:57:45 - 00:58:06 | Speaker 1:

and choose so so it's driving me yes good point it's driving me nuts that people are texting that though too because we we are not always like that with guys 99.9 no no all the time y'all he may be right shannon no i feel like lately we have been a lot a lot better about that we've been softer

00:58:06 - 00:58:11 | Speaker 3:

we've gotten softer in our old age lately adam lately being last week what when did late

00:58:11 - 00:58:14 | Speaker 4:

I like him

00:58:14 - 00:58:17 | Speaker 3:

Adam I think I'm not defending her

00:58:17 - 00:58:29 | Speaker 4:

Please understand I'm not But our response to her As a whole Is a whole male female thing And it's like let's kick them both as hard as we can And dog them both out That's the point of the show I think

00:58:29 - 00:58:36 | Speaker 3:

Hold on a second I think Kristen you have a similar Kind of comment about that

00:58:36 - 00:59:08 | Speaker 5:

or kristin kristin is that your name kristin yeah um i just noticed and it's not necessarily you guys that do the dogging but i noticed that the callers when it's the guy that gets caught cheating the callers are like oh you know you deserve better than that get rid of him oh i went through this this is horrible but now it sounds like a lot of excuses are being made well wants to feel pretty. She just had a baby. Her focus...

00:59:08 - 00:59:09 | Speaker 3:

So you agree with Adam?

00:59:10 - 00:59:12 | Speaker 5:

I agree with Adam. Can I tell you

00:59:12 - 00:59:34 | Speaker 3:

where I think that the double standard is? I think it's the two-year-old. I think that if there was a guy cheating on a woman that just gave birth to a baby, they have a two-year-old, I would hope that they would go see counseling and not just throw the marriage apart. I think that might be the problem, but you're right, and Adam's right. We're soft. We need to dog Natasha in this case.

00:59:35 - 00:59:53 | Speaker 5:

Natasha did wrong, and there is no excuse for what she did. If she wants to feel pretty, maybe she should have just went to her husband and said, Hey, listen, I'm feeling this kind of way. Instead of just, you know, sneaking around and she definitely had the deer in headlights. A hundred percent. Yeah.

00:59:53 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Right. No, you're right. Boy, you're a good imitation of her. Final call from Laura. What did you want to say, Laura? You had a statement.

01:00:00 - 01:00:18 | Speaker 5:

Good morning, guys. I just am listening to these ladies call in. And, you know, a lot of women have babies and they feel awkward about their bodies and their identities change and all of that. You know, I've had babies. I get it. But that's no excuse. We don't cheat on our husbands. You know? Good point.

01:00:19 - 01:00:22 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. You deal with it some other way. Yeah.

01:00:22 - 01:00:25 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, you deal with it another way. That's all.

01:00:25 - 01:00:28 | Speaker 6:

You go to lover's lane. I don't know.

01:00:28 - 01:00:38 | Speaker 5:

I guess so. So there's lots of other options. Who advertises? You know, I've been in that situation. It sucks, but, you know.

01:00:38 - 01:00:39 | Speaker 6:

Thanks, Laura.

01:00:39 - 01:00:40 | Speaker 5:

You just don't do that.

01:00:40 - 01:00:41 | Speaker 6:

Have a great day.

01:00:42 - 01:00:43 | Speaker 5:

Thanks, guys. Love you guys.

01:00:44 - 01:00:46 | Speaker 6:

You're home with the phone scams.

01:00:46 - 01:00:50 | Speaker 3:

More of the roses. And the dirty on the 30s. Mojo in the morning.

01:00:52 - 01:00:54 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30s.

01:00:54 - 01:00:58 | Speaker 6:

All right, Shannon, with what's trending in the Dirty on the 30 phone scams on the way in moments.

01:00:58 - 01:01:22 | Speaker 1:

President Biden's aides found at least one more batch of classified documents. That's not good. The first batch of classified documents were found at the Penn Biden Center in Washington. Told you about that earlier in the week. Not really clear when or where the second batch was discovered by Biden's aides. We just now know that it happened. They exist. This is Democratic Representative Katie Porter.

01:01:22 - 01:01:25 | Speaker 5:

Classified documents belong in classified settings.

01:01:25 - 01:01:47 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, the House Oversight Committee has told the White House that it wants to see the documents that had been left in his Penn-Biden Center office. A letter to administration officials has also asked for info, including a list of people with access to that office and the security clearance status of the president's lawyers who handled all of these classified documents.

01:01:47 - 01:02:00 | Speaker 6:

And I think that one of the problems is going to be is that he came down so harshly on former President Trump by saying you should never have classified documents in a non-classified area. Yet now this is the second batch of documents that are out there.

01:02:01 - 01:02:12 | Speaker 1:

And they're saying more could exist very easily. Dr. Dre is selling a collection of music income strings and other assets in a deal that's being pitched for you. Ready for this number? $250 million.

01:02:12 - 01:02:15 | Speaker 6:

Wow. Does his divorce have anything to do with this? That he needs money?

01:02:15 - 01:02:18 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. That's actually a really good question.

01:02:18 - 01:02:33 | Speaker 2:

He doesn't need money. The guy's already a billionaire. It's the perfect time all these artists are selling their catalogs, their publishing rights, their licensing rights, because the value is at an all-time high, and they're afraid maybe in the future in the digital world, they might not be able to get the same price they can get now.

01:02:33 - 01:02:42 | Speaker 6:

He did have to pay, though, in his settlement. I think it was like, it was over $100 million or something like that. It was some crazy number. He's not hurting, though.

01:02:42 - 01:03:16 | Speaker 1:

These assets are being acquired by Shamrock Holdings and UMG, Universal Music Group, in two different transactions, two separate transactions. These deals are said to be pretty much done deals. And the assets are said to include artist royalties from two sides, or excuse me, two of his solo albums, his share of NWA artist royalties, his producer royalties, the writer's share of his song catalog, where he doesn't own the publishing, which may include songs from The Chronic. I mean there's a lot of stuff That's you know all put together As part of this but 250 mil

01:03:16 - 01:03:37 | Speaker 2:

And the craziest thing is this is only a small portion Like a percentage of what he owns He has his hand in so many things Like he owns the first couple albums Kendrick Lamar put out And there's all these different pieces of Different record labels he has And promotions and Merch is the big thing he hasn't touched yet He still owns everything that he has his hand in With Beats and everything else

01:03:37 - 01:03:40 | Speaker 1:

I think he already sold Beats though

01:03:40 - 01:03:44 | Speaker 6:

Didn't he? Yeah, Beats is gone. Beats went to Apple. They bought it.

01:03:45 - 01:03:58 | Speaker 1:

The Whitney Houston estate was disappointed that comedian Jared Carmichael joked about Whitney's death during this week's Golden Globes during his opening monologue. Just in case you missed it, this is the joke that he made.

01:03:58 - 01:04:13 | Speaker 4:

We are pressed for time, but they wanted me to shout out the venue that we're in. So we are here, live, from the hotel that killed Whitney Houston, the Beverly Hilton, you guys. So that's very exciting.

01:04:13 - 01:04:14 | Speaker 6:

Oh, man.

01:04:14 - 01:04:44 | Speaker 1:

Obviously, though, I know we need to drown in a bathtub at the hotel. Afterward, a rep for Pat Houston, Whitney's sister-in-law and longtime manager, said the Whitney Houston estate is disappointed in the joke and felt it was in poor taste. It was. And lastly, 50 Cent says, he now feels compelled to apologize to Megan Thee Stallion for believing that she lied about her relationship with Tory Lanez and what happened with that shooting now that the trial has revealed more details about it.

01:04:44 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to apologize to Megan Thee Stallion. I said some things, and it was because when she said she was with Gail, she said, were you intimate with Tory Lanez? And she said, no. From that, it felt like she was lying to me. You know what I'm saying? so I was like little things would pop up and I wasn't being supportive of her because when I

01:05:00 - 01:05:07 | Speaker 4:

I heard the phone conversation. That made me feel like, oh, now I know what happened. I'm sure that that was probably what swayed people in court, too.

01:05:08 - 01:05:31 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, 50s apology comes after he shared a meme to Instagram last month comparing Megan Thee Stallion to Jesse Smollett. I can only say Jesse Smollett now. But Jesse Smollett, obviously the former Empire actor who lied about being the victim of a hate crime. And again, Tory was found guilty of assault with a semi-automatic firearm along with a bunch of other charges. He's facing up to 22 years in prison right now. 01:06:46 - 01:06:47 | Speaker 4:

Which one is that? Which child is that?

01:06:49 - 01:06:54 | Speaker 2:

I could take you guys off of speakerphone. Okay. They're kind of dumbfounded. They have no idea what's going on.

01:06:54 - 01:06:55 | Speaker 3:

Neither do we.

01:06:55 - 01:07:08 | Speaker 4:

The game is January the 21st. College night is featuring the University of Michigan. Go get your University of Michigan Red Wing swag at that game and hang on the phone. We'll get you set up with those tickets, okay?

01:07:08 - 01:07:09 | Speaker 2:

Okay, thank you.

01:07:09 - 01:07:11 | Speaker 4:

All right, thank you so much. Have a great day.

01:07:12 - 01:07:12 | Speaker 2:

You too.

01:07:13 - 01:07:30 | Speaker 4:

All right. Mojo in the morning show. This weekend is a long weekend. And there's a long Martin Luther King Jr. Day is on Monday. And, Spike, you're off tomorrow, right, too? Yeah. You're taking the day off?

01:07:30 - 01:07:34 | Speaker 3:

Right after today's show, I'm flying out to Hollywood and taking a long weekend.

01:07:34 - 01:07:40 | Speaker 4:

Hold on a second. You sound like one of those American Idol-like people. You're going to Hollywood.

01:07:40 - 01:07:41 | Speaker 3:

You're going to Hollywood.

01:07:42 - 01:07:47 | Speaker 4:

What's going on in Hollywood there? Did you get your golden ticket? Yes.

01:07:47 - 01:08:35 | Speaker 3:

I was just cast on a show It's called Thursday It's a sequel to Wednesday But much less budget I'm actually going to visit some friends I wanted to go out to a big concert out there Actually the iHeart Radio Alt Ego concert Some good bands playing And then while I'm out there I'm going to see some friends See some sites And Meg and I wanted to get away for a weekend And just have some time with just the two of us Because our holidays were relaxing But we're with family the entire time Like, we didn't get any time alone, so we thought it would be nice to just take a little weekend to the two of us. And she's only been out to L.A. once quickly for work and didn't really get to see the site, so there's a lot of stuff new to her. So we'll probably go to a – we might go to Jimmy Kimmel's 20th anniversary show. We might go to a couple other places.

01:08:36 - 01:08:55 | Speaker 4:

Do you guys – so do you – because you're a big travel guy. Yeah. Do you find that – is it interesting for you now that you're in a new relationship and you have explored so many places to take her to places and to, like, show her around because you've been to these places before?

01:08:56 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Well, I always find new places to go I haven't been. So even though we're going – like, I haven't been there in 15, 14, 15 years. But there's – I mean, geez, I was there for a weekend, so I saw just about nothing. but when you go to a big city like that like LA everything changes every year or two anyway there's so many new things to check out so I love it so every time even if we go to a city I've been to before is most of the time it's a new experience for me too unless there's a like a favorite place so like for instance I want to take her to the Sunset Strip because I love all the the bars and clubs there all the rock clubs and all the places where a lot of big celebrity huge stars got their start you know there's legendary um concert venues on the strip like the troubadour the roxy the whiskey a go-go the rainbow room where all of our major rock stars started from the 60s 70s and 80s all the way up to today and um there's also a place i want to take her the whiskey is like one of my favorites that's where all the 80s and 90s hair bands and metal bands came from Like Guns N' Roses got their start there. Motley Crue.

01:10:00 - 01:10:38 | Speaker 1:

crew metallica um and even some alternative bands like pearl jam and uh bands like that so i don't know if i can go back in there though because about 10 years ago uh our friend chad our old producer of the show chad and i were there for the american music awards broadcast and we went to the whiskey one night and we got really drunk and they kicked us out and told us we were banned that we're never allowed to go back in there and i really want to go in there this weekend to show meg but uh so i'm just gonna go and i'm like there's no way they can remember me from like 12 years ago right oh i don't know about that i don't think they can oh i don't know

01:10:38 - 01:11:16 | Speaker 3:

people out every day i say that because actually it's so funny because this has to do with the chat as well probably about 10 years ago andrew was out with a bunch of buddies including his buddy chad oh yeah and you've heard this story before yeah and chad got was over served as i say and there was some sort of altercation with him and the bartender and they threw him out and they said, you are never, ever welcome back here. So now it's become like a thing that they'll still try to go back in and see if they recognize Chad and get kicked out. Every single time they've tried, Chad is recognized and they throw him right out.

01:11:16 - 01:11:36 | Speaker 2:

But they keep going back every year. This has been 12 years ago. That's very true. That is very true. I will bet you a venue like that that has had so many people go through it the history of it they don't have like a unless unless i'm wrong and they have like a bunch of people's pictures up in the front but i've they wouldn't have enough room for all the pictures

01:11:36 - 01:12:17 | Speaker 1:

i mean this is a place that like where jimmy hendrix and the who got their start and van halen lincoln park you know like every big band like especially on the west coast they all got their start at the whiskey so i can't imagine 12 years later they're gonna be like hey weren't you really drunk one night and heckling the band and like being sloppy on the balcony plus don't you look a little little different from 12 years i hope i do yeah maybe i'll wear a mustache too but no i feel like i wanted but i thought you know if there are any listeners that have ever been banned from a place and they're not allowed back in i would love to hear if you ever tried to go back if if you're one of those people listening that you tried to sneak back in and maybe uh they

01:12:17 - 01:12:24 | Speaker 2:

recognize maybe they don't 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 will you be affected by the weather

01:12:24 - 01:12:46 | Speaker 1:

at all this great the crazy storms no so some of the people were visiting actually had to leave their houses and go check into apartments the last few days and i'm checking to hotels because flooding and the power outage but the flooding was so bad it washed away part of the canyon and their neighborhoods and stuff and it actually knocked out some roads but it's sunny out there

01:12:46 - 01:12:50 | Speaker 2:

today and they're on recovery so i saw they're getting snow now that's the other big thing that

01:12:50 - 01:12:54 | Speaker 1:

that uh the west coast is getting yeah that's further north though not as far as yeah there

01:12:54 - 01:13:05 | Speaker 2:

was there was a story that was about the some of the areas like uh towards san francisco that now they went from all this rain to now they're going to get huge amounts of snowfall because

01:13:05 - 01:13:12 | Speaker 1:

the temperatures drop so much but it's going to be sunny and seven i don't want to rub it in but Sonny and Seventy when we land today. Oh, good. Seventy for you.

01:13:12 - 01:13:20 | Speaker 2:

Well, what's up, Sasha? Hi. Hi. Sasha, not quite the Whiskey-A-Go-Go. Where did you get kicked out of?

01:13:21 - 01:13:23 | Speaker 4:

She and my sister got kicked out of a Denny's before.

01:13:24 - 01:13:24 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:13:24 - 01:13:28 | Speaker 3:

That's a rite of passage, isn't it? I was going to say, who hasn't gotten kicked out of a Denny's?

01:13:28 - 01:13:31 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Were you able to go back ever, or have you never tried it?

01:13:32 - 01:13:55 | Speaker 4:

Well, I didn't go back because, like, my sister tried going back, and they immediately kicked her out, but she went back like a couple months later. So I just never went back until about six years later. And I thought, you know, I changed, you know, appearances a little bit. And the general manager comes streaming over to our table and screamed at me to get out. She said I wasn't welcome there. Wow. I feel like Denny's puts up with everything. Like, what did you do?

01:13:55 - 01:13:56 | Unknown:

Yeah, that's a good question.

01:13:57 - 01:14:02 | Speaker 4:

Well, my sister's kind of crazy, so. A fight. It was a fight. Yep. Yeah.

01:14:02 - 01:14:12 | Speaker 2:

My favorite was trying to get moons over my hammy And to see if during the time that they cooked it Somebody actually got into an argument Or a fight at another table

01:14:12 - 01:14:15 | Speaker 3:

Dude, the sampler platter Oh, that's always a good one, too

01:14:15 - 01:14:23 | Speaker 2:

You know what's funny is I always said to myself I like Denny's, but I wonder what it tastes like during the day Listener Shannon?

01:14:24 - 01:14:25 | Speaker 5:

Yes, hey

01:14:25 - 01:14:26 | Speaker 2:

Hi, what happened to you?

01:14:28 - 01:14:57 | Speaker 5:

Well, I went to a bar And misbehaved a little bit And then I tried to re-enter that bar about a year later, and some bars are equipped with when you enter, they take your ID and they swipe it. When they did that, they instantly said, no, you're flagged. And it's just like, I don't know, they swipe my ID and instantly they're like, no. So they saw my picture and my info and they're like, out of here. I couldn't even enter.

01:14:57 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 2:

It's like going through TSA security when they swipe.

01:15:00 - 01:15:01 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, pretty much, yeah.

01:15:01 - 01:15:04 | Speaker 2:

Thank God I don't think they had that technology 12 years ago.

01:15:05 - 01:15:05 | Speaker 1:

Lindsay?

01:15:06 - 01:15:07 | Speaker 5:

Yes, hi.

01:15:07 - 01:15:12 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Lindsay, your dad was kicked out of a bar, and what was the reason?

01:15:14 - 01:15:37 | Speaker 3:

So when they were younger, my uncle and my dad were in St. Augustine and went to a bar, and my uncle got into a fight. My dad jumped in to defend him and kind of tried to break it up. But when the police showed up, they ended up arresting my dad, not my uncle. And the police escorted them out of St. Augustine and told them never to come back. Wow. A whole city.

01:15:38 - 01:15:41 | Speaker 2:

I admire that. That's actually pretty impressive.

01:15:42 - 01:15:46 | Speaker 1:

Also, that's a story that Dad told you. Roy?

01:15:47 - 01:15:48 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Hey, what's up?

01:15:48 - 01:15:50 | Speaker 1:

How you doing? Roy, you got kicked out of a hotel?

01:15:52 - 01:15:54 | Speaker 4:

The Cadillac Sands Hotel in Cadillac, Michigan.

01:15:55 - 01:15:56 | Speaker 1:

What did you do?

01:15:57 - 01:16:53 | Speaker 4:

We were playing softball. I didn't do anything. Of course. Right answer. We were playing softball, and afterwards we were all partying, and we had about 10 people in a room, and these two girls were coming down the hallway, so we invited them into the room, and we're partying. All of a sudden there's a bang on the door, and this guy comes to the door and goes, is my daughter in there? And I says, no, I don't think so. And he looks and he goes, yeah, that's them. Okay, well, he gets his daughter and leaves, and he comes back a few minutes later and knocks on the door again. And I go, there's no more daughters in here. And he says, nope, you guys got to go. And I says, well, what are you talking about? Who are you? He goes, I own the hotel. You got to go. I go, well, we've already paid for the night. We're not leaving. 15 minutes later, there was a big pound on the door, and it was the state police, and we had to leave. So eight years later, I go back to this hotel, and I'm checking in, and this elderly woman's at the desk. She looks at me, looks down, looks at me, looks down, looks at me, looks down. I go, no, you got to be kidding me. She goes, yeah, you can't stay.

01:16:53 - 01:16:58 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. Wow. Man.

01:16:58 - 01:16:58 | Speaker 4:

So I'm banned.

01:16:59 - 01:17:03 | Speaker 1:

Banned from the hotel. So if you ever go to Cadillac, are there any other good places to stay?

01:17:04 - 01:17:04 | Speaker 4:

I don't know.

01:17:06 - 01:17:07 | Speaker 2:

Stay away from their daughters.

01:17:07 - 01:17:29 | Speaker 1:

My favorite text message here is the listener who says that they love to listen to the War of the Roses to when Spike gives out useless information. Throwback, throwdown. Throwback, throwdown. Oh, yeah. Excuse me, throwback, throwdown, and then said that they can only hope Spike's girlfriend Meg well wishes over the fact that she's traveling with him.

01:17:29 - 01:17:46 | Speaker 2:

Because it's all music venues and, like, landmarks. Like, hey, see, that's the Hyatt. That's called the Riot House where Led Zeppelin rode a motorcycle through the lobby. And that down there is the Viper Room. That was owned by Johnny Depp, and that's where River Phoenix died in the front. Like, I'll just be boring.

01:17:46 - 01:17:48 | Speaker 1:

I don't care how good the weather is. I'd be staying home.

01:17:48 - 01:17:50 | Speaker 2:

She was charging her headphones last night to put on for the walk.

01:17:51 - 01:18:16 | Speaker 1:

It is time now for a phone scam on the Mojo in the Morning Show. We found out that, what's his name? Is it Jarrell? Jarrell. That Jarrell accidentally passed gas while on a treadmill at a gym. It was so loud that the lady on the machine next to him quickly left. His buddy sent us all the information so that Spike could actually do a good situation about canceling his gym membership. It's a Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

01:18:16 - 01:18:54 | Speaker 2:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scans. Mojo in the morning. Hello? My name is John Sawala from fitness looking for Jarrell, please. This is him? Jarrell, Jarrell. Yo, what's good? I'm good, man. How you doing? Well, I hate to make these kind of phone calls, but unfortunately, we have to terminate your agreement and refund the remaining prorated membership to our gym. I apologize, but I just wanted to call and let you know what's going to be popping up on your credit card.

01:18:55 - 01:18:56 | Unknown:

What?

01:18:56 - 01:19:04 | Speaker 2:

I know you've been a member with us for two years, and we do appreciate your business. Hopefully, we can come to an agreement and part ways without making a bigger stink out of all this.

01:19:04 - 01:19:07 | Speaker 5:

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Why am I getting canceled?

01:19:07 - 01:19:10 | Speaker 2:

Well, a few of our members have complained about you.

01:19:11 - 01:19:12 | Speaker 5:

About what?

01:19:12 - 01:19:20 | Speaker 2:

uh about you we're gonna have to terminate your membership but what is this in reference i'm not understanding it's in reference to me telling you that we're terminating your

01:19:20 - 01:19:26 | Speaker 5:

membership you can no longer come here for exercise i'm not understanding why my membership

01:19:26 - 01:19:30 | Speaker 2:

is being terminated right now well it's about what you're doing on the treadmill

01:19:30 - 01:19:36 | Speaker 5:

what am i doing on a treadmill i have my earphones on the whole time well you have an issue in which

01:19:36 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 2:

apparently you pass gas on the treadmill and we have a problem and that's been confirmed by one of our team members are you serious have you ever passed gas on a treadmill in our club all the time but i also burp too okay well i'm glad you could admit it and we can have an adult conversation about this because it was loud and it was fervent and a woman told us it was you she said it was as if you were looking

01:20:00 - 01:20:16 | Speaker 3:

around proudly as if you were doing it on purpose no i was hoping it was that was quiet well you better take your earbuds out because it was not quiet and if it were one person we wouldn't worry about it i'd give you the benny of the d but we had complaints from nine people about you oh wow

01:20:16 - 01:20:26 | Speaker 2:

i'm sorry i didn't know that i was breaking a law by having flatulence i thought we were all adults here but i actually have a gas problem okay and it's a medical issue is it well then

01:20:26 - 01:20:27 | Speaker 3:

and maybe you should see a doctor.

01:20:29 - 01:20:30 | Speaker 2:

I have. There's nothing I can do.

01:20:31 - 01:20:48 | Speaker 3:

There's something you can do. You can run outdoors. Why don't you do a little running outdoors where you can let her rip? The intake form, when you sign up on a membership, there is a thing to put your medical conditions, and there was nothing in there about any specific medical conditions. So you can't claim that now that I'm trying to cancel your membership.

01:20:50 - 01:20:51 | Unknown:

Wow. Okay.

01:20:51 - 01:20:58 | Speaker 3:

Walking, running, jogging, these are all things we encourage you to do on our treadmills. You can't have this business. and I'm embarrassed that I even had to make this call.

01:20:59 - 01:21:02 | Speaker 2:

I fart everywhere. Oh. And I've never had an issue.

01:21:02 - 01:21:10 | Speaker 3:

Of course you never have an issue. Farts are like children. You don't mind your own, but you can't stand other people's. Did you do a little squirty in your pants?

01:21:11 - 01:21:14 | Speaker 2:

I must say this is the stupidest phone call.

01:21:14 - 01:21:36 | Speaker 3:

Hang on one second. The manager's coming. No, I'm talking to Jarrell the farter. Treadmill. Jarrell the farter. All right, hang on. Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm back. We'll just refund the difference here for the remainder of the year, and we're just going to have to cut ways. Okay. Everybody's eyes were watering. Your eyes are going to be watering and laughing. When I tell you this is just Spike from the Mojo on the morning show, Jarrell, you've just been the victim of a phone scam.

01:21:39 - 01:21:41 | Speaker 2:

You have me put my fingers out there like that.

01:21:43 - 01:21:46 | Speaker 3:

I love that you actually admitted right to it. Like, yep, I do it.

01:21:46 - 01:21:55 | Speaker 2:

Hey, integrity is key, man. I'm going to own up to it. I was headed to the gym right now, too.

01:21:57 - 01:21:58 | Speaker 3:

All right, this is a warning for everyone.

01:21:59 - 01:22:19 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah, put the fans on. All right, well, since you're putting people's business out there like that, Chris hasn't showered in a couple weeks. We will, we will scam you. Hello? You're home with the phone scams.

01:22:19 - 01:22:25 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, hi there, sir. This is Philip Rippin' Clippa. It's Nick Shoemate from the B***h Apartment Complex. Jeffrey Anthony from Greg Murray Appraising.

01:22:26 - 01:22:27 | Speaker 2:

This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:22:40 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning show. Got a lot to come on this hour. Boy, that sounded weird. Got a lot coming up on this hour. Oh, jeez. Here's what we have coming up this hour. This hour on the Mojo in the Morning Show. Shannon has a huge birthday coming up next week. She's going to be 40 years old. And we need to give Shannon a little bit of advice. She wants to know what is something that she needs to do with one week left in her 30s. We'll talk about that on the way. Also, I had a day in court on Monday. I'll tell you why coming up here in just a few minutes. And we've got some good topics coming up from Reese, our director of social impact, Lydia, our associate producer, Megan, Mike, and the War of the Roses all on the way this morning here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. The second half of the Mojo in the Morning Show is coming up here. If you are listening to the show with us today and you're checking us out live, thank you. You can text 95500 and just tell us where you're listening, what city you're listening in. We appreciate all of our listeners in Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Toledo, but also everybody from surrounding areas and, of course, around the country and the globe checking us out on the iHeartRadio app. Number one, for radio, podcast, music, and more, the iHeartRadio app, you can download it in the App Store, get it for free. And if you don't already have it, and I'm assuming most of our listeners already have it because it is one of the most popular apps around, you know, thank you. We have a couple of songs that we're playing on the air that are kind of like throwbacks, but they're new throwbacks. Like one is the song that you just heard Just a little bit ago You know the remake of I Don't Want to Know The old Mario song From Metro Boomin Creepin and then there's the Other songs that we're playing Like what is it God why am I brain farting right now Lonnie Well that Lonnie song has got a little clip Of the cardigans Love Fool sunshine the old sunshine from taiga so there's a

01:25:00 - 01:25:28 | Speaker 3:

couple of those songs so the reason i bring this up is there's a trend that's been going on on social media right now of a way to tell how your 2023 is going is by going back and looking at what song was the number one song in the country on the day that you turned 23 so if you're not already 23 sorry you can't participate in this one but what is the what was the number one song on the

01:25:28 - 01:25:33 | Speaker 5:

day that you turned oh i did mine wrong i just did the year i did the number one yeah the year

01:25:33 - 01:25:47 | Speaker 3:

you turned no the date yeah you got to put in your birthday oh yeah you put in your birth date in the in the year that you turned 23 and on the day that you turned 23 what was the number one song so don't look at the year end song look at the song that was number one on the actual day that

01:25:47 - 01:25:55 | Speaker 4:

you were 23 um mine mine is kind of funny yeah mine is alanis marset ironic isn't it ironic

01:25:56 - 01:25:57 | Speaker 2:

That actually is a good one.

01:25:57 - 01:25:58 | Speaker 4:

That's how my 2023 is going to go.

01:25:59 - 01:26:02 | Speaker 2:

Well, you know what, though? Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I don't think that that's so bad.

01:26:03 - 01:26:07 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. Could be either. It's going to be a black fly in my Chardonnay. Is that what you said?

01:26:09 - 01:26:19 | Unknown:

It's like rain on your wedding day. It's a free ride on your wedding day.

01:26:20 - 01:26:22 | Speaker 3:

It's a good song.

01:26:22 - 01:26:30 | Speaker 5:

Great song

01:26:30 - 01:26:43 | Speaker 3:

Yeah Mine is Janet Jackson It's a Janet Jackson song That's the way love goes Remember this song at all? Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

01:26:43 - 01:26:44 | Speaker 6:

I'm trying to remember

01:26:44 - 01:26:47 | Speaker 4:

What is a love song? I'm trying to remember the lyrics

01:26:47 - 01:26:50 | Speaker 3:

That's the way love goes

01:26:50 - 01:26:59 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I hope it's good She's pining for him

01:26:59 - 01:27:05 | Speaker 3:

Are we reading into it based on the lyrics or just the titles?

01:27:07 - 01:27:08 | Speaker 4:

Whatever's more fun

01:27:08 - 01:27:13 | Speaker 3:

Shannon, did you go back and look and see what was on your year?

01:27:13 - 01:27:14 | Speaker 5:

I went back because I thought it was for the year

01:27:14 - 01:27:33 | Speaker 3:

Which by the way, Reese, post the generator, the birthday generator when we post this on social media because the birthday generator that Spike put in there is great because you can actually just go right to the song and if you want to call us up and tell us the day that you turn 23 we'll look it up for you and tell you so you don't have to look it up while you're driving. What's yours?

01:27:33 - 01:27:39 | Speaker 5:

So January 19th, 2006 was the day I turned 23 and the song was Laffy Taft

01:27:39 - 01:27:44 | Speaker 6:

That's a good one That's so good

01:27:44 - 01:27:50 | Speaker 5:

I mean Grammy Award in a lyrics.

01:27:50 - 01:27:56 | Speaker 4:

Girls call me Jolly Rancher because I stay so hard. You can suck me for a long time. Oh, my God.

01:27:58 - 01:28:00 | Speaker 1:

It's a romantic piece.

01:28:01 - 01:28:09 | Speaker 6:

So what does this say about me here? You're going to party a lot this year. Yeah. Oh, I'm so big.

01:28:11 - 01:28:17 | Speaker 2:

01:28:31 - 01:28:41 | Speaker 1:

01:34:55 - 01:34:57 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Here you go.

01:35:00 - 01:35:11 | Speaker 2:

You know what?

01:35:11 - 01:35:17 | Speaker 1:

I can't even read into that to know what that would be all about for you, but I'm thinking it's going to be a good year. So happy 2023.

01:35:18 - 01:35:19 | Speaker 3:

Thank you. You too.

01:35:19 - 01:35:24 | Speaker 1:

01:35:44 - 01:36:00 | Speaker 1:

01:36:00 - 01:36:03 | Speaker 3:

Huh? Pegging jeans?

01:36:04 - 01:36:08 | Speaker 1:

No, at the bottom of it where you roll them up Oh, cuffing them? Yeah They called it pegging back then

01:36:08 - 01:36:11 | Speaker 3:

In the olden days In the olden days It's different

01:36:11 - 01:36:19 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I watch a lot of TikTok I don't think it's that anymore Yeah, and we're going to peg And pegged other stuff too back then too

01:36:19 - 01:36:24 | Speaker 4:

Drew, thank you for the call

01:36:24 - 01:37:11 | Speaker 1:

They like to make fun of this But Shannon, by the way, is going to be 40 years old next week oh my god remember when she started remember when she started with the show and she was just a 20 year old oh my god hey kp look at your future right right there right there that was so bad about it what's so bad about being 50 when you're 50 i hope that you have as much fun as i do actually i hope you have more fun than i do we have lots of fun we just can't remember it so much so angry in your old age hi leah hi leah what's your song my song is i got a feeling by black eyed peas oh you already know that's a you know what that's a good song right right

01:37:11 - 01:37:22 | Speaker 3:

yeah that's good how old are you i'm 36 i'll be 37 in september did you like being 23 honestly

01:37:22 - 01:37:26 | Speaker 1:

Like, if you look back at years, would you say 23 was a good year for you?

01:37:28 - 01:37:36 | Speaker 3:

You know what? It was a good year. It was a good year. I had no responsibilities. I was kind of going to work and living my life.

01:37:36 - 01:37:55 | Speaker 1:

And, you know, it was a good year. I got married when I got engaged when I was 23, got married when I was 24 years old. And I look back on it now, and I wish I would have the attitude that I have right now back then, but I just didn't know. You know? Same, yeah. just to be a little bit wiser to things and just enjoy things a little bit more, right?

01:37:56 - 01:37:57 | Speaker 4:

I agree, for sure.

01:37:58 - 01:37:59 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, thank you.

01:38:00 - 01:38:01 | Speaker 4:

You too.

01:38:01 - 01:38:02 | Speaker 1:

Take care.

01:38:15 - 01:38:16 | Speaker 4:

Mazel tov.

01:38:19 - 01:38:20 | Speaker 1:

Kevin, what's up, buddy?

01:38:21 - 01:38:22 | Speaker 4:

Hey, how you doing?

01:38:23 - 01:38:24 | Speaker 1:

Good, man. How old are you?

01:38:26 - 01:38:35 | Speaker 4:

I am about to be 39 this year. That's the easy question. September 24th. Dude, what? Are you okay?

01:38:36 - 01:38:38 | Speaker 1:

You're struggling, man. Okay, so what was your...

01:38:38 - 01:38:40 | Speaker 2:

I'm driving, so...

01:38:40 - 01:38:40 | Speaker 1:

All right, September...

01:38:40 - 01:38:41 | Speaker 2:

September 24th.

01:38:41 - 01:38:45 | Speaker 1:

Okay, and what year... Dump that. Everybody dump that.

01:38:45 - 01:38:47 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Lord. You can't say that word.

01:38:48 - 01:38:51 | Speaker 1:

All right, he's 39 years old. Shannon, you're going to be 40. So what year were you?

01:38:51 - 01:38:53 | Speaker 3:

I was 2006.

01:38:54 - 01:38:57 | Speaker 1:

All right. So he's 2007. 2006. All right.

01:38:58 - 01:39:06 | Speaker 2:

The song was Kanye West Stronger. Is that what it was? I don't know if that's going to be his theme for this year.

01:39:08 - 01:39:13 | Speaker 1:

I'm sorry, but yes, I think that you threw off the curve on this one, okay?

01:39:15 - 01:39:15 | Speaker 2:

I did.

01:39:16 - 01:39:19 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Sorry. You're going to have a better day.

01:39:19 - 01:39:21 | Speaker 2:

How did he even dial the phone without hurting himself?

01:39:22 - 01:39:44 | Speaker 1:

It was looking at my future. Mojo in the morning show. I'm going to go on record to say that my favorite birthday I've ever had in my life is what Shannon's going to have next year. Or next week. Really? Next year. 40 years old was by far. Do you remember my 40th birthday party? Chelsea threw it from me.

01:39:44 - 01:39:46 | Speaker 3:

I do remember going to your 40th birthday party.

01:39:46 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 1:

It was honestly my favorite birthday I've ever had. My wife threw me the greatest birthday party that I probably have ever had to date, although I've had some really good ones other than that. Good birthday.

01:40:00 - 01:40:10 | Speaker 2:

But 40 was, for some reason, a great time for me. And I think to myself, Shannon, you're going to be 40 next week. It's going to be a good one for you.

01:40:11 - 01:40:35 | Speaker 5:

I was, like, super excited to turn 40. And now all of a sudden that I only have one week in my 30s left, I'm like, oh, crap. I don't know. Now I'm kind of getting all sorts of feelings about it. Really? I remember. Here's what's so crazy to me. I remember throwing my mom A surprise 40th birthday party And so it's like really weird to me To think now that I'm that same age Because I don't feel that way

01:40:35 - 01:40:37 | Speaker 3:

When we were kids we thought 40 was ancient

01:40:37 - 01:40:48 | Speaker 5:

It was over the hill Everything was over the hill And now I don't think it's that way But it is kind of just weird To like recall when my mom was that age And now I am turning that age

01:40:48 - 01:41:24 | Speaker 2:

You know You know what though I looked at 40 And I think you should look at 40 as that um and you have to understand you have more than more than half of your life left right so you don't have to worry about that oh yeah and that you're in a great spot right now you you know you had some struggles for uh some years uh with some personal stuff but now things are turning around for you yes you know yeah i mean look at that is a great way to look at it if you If you were turning 40 four years ago or so, or how many years ago was it?

01:41:25 - 01:41:30 | Speaker 5:

Three years ago? Since I've been going through the junk of five, almost six years.

01:41:30 - 01:41:33 | Speaker 2:

It's been now, okay. Five almost six years. Could you imagine? It would have been piled on.

01:41:34 - 01:41:44 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. You're right. You're totally right. I just like, what do I need to do? What do I need to cram into one week of being 30 that is not appropriate for me to do once I turn 40?

01:41:45 - 01:41:50 | Speaker 2:

Tell me. Things that you should do? Yeah. Wear your hat backwards? I don't know what to wear. I don't know. Wear jerseys.

01:41:50 - 01:41:53 | Speaker 5:

Like, are there things, or it's just like a free-for-all now?

01:41:53 - 01:41:59 | Speaker 2:

I think women are different than guys. Guys should never wear, like, certain things past a certain age, but I don't know if women are that way.

01:41:59 - 01:42:03 | Speaker 6:

I mean, the orthopedic shoes are next, right? So maybe they'll say anything else.

01:42:03 - 01:42:15 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. You're in good company. You look at some of the people that are turning 40 in the next few weeks, and it's Emily Blunt, Carrie Underwood. She is. She is. Chris Hemsworth, Mila Kunis. Really? Heck yeah. So you're in good company.

01:42:15 - 01:42:18 | Speaker 5:

Heck yeah. All right, we can go to the next topic. I feel great.

01:42:18 - 01:42:20 | Speaker 3:

I thought that would help.

01:42:21 - 01:42:42 | Speaker 6:

I feel like ages, though, have really changed. Like, 40 is, I feel back in the day, used to be, like, old. 40, and now it's like, 40? Dude, you get, like, so much more freedom. You get to do more stuff. I don't know. I get excited to get older now. I used to look at it as something bad, but now I'm like, oh, I think it's going to get easier.

01:42:43 - 01:43:08 | Speaker 3:

Like, 40, I finally had disposable income. In my 30s, I was trying to pay for the, you know, pay to rent a house and then finally get my first house and then i had zero dollars and then you know you have to pay your car and everything in 40s i felt like i finally have a little money you have disposable income now hold up like yeah like you know you put aside some so you could take your kids up north and do stuff like that i couldn't do that okay just become a little smarter

01:43:08 - 01:43:12 | Speaker 2:

with your money yeah is what you're saying yeah all right i got i got the list this is it who

01:43:12 - 01:43:14 | Speaker 5:

Who made this list? The internet or you?

01:43:14 - 01:43:40 | Speaker 2:

I Googled things that you should do before you're 40, and it was all like heartfelt, warm things. Yeah, you don't like that. And I didn't like it. So I Googled things that you shouldn't do after you're 40. And when I Googled things that you shouldn't do after you're 40, it made me go, all right, this is a better list because this is stuff that you need to do before the next week. Eating in your bed just before you go to sleep.

01:43:40 - 01:43:41 | Speaker 5:

I do that every single night.

01:43:42 - 01:43:43 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Well, that's it. You got to stop.

01:43:43 - 01:43:44 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

01:43:45 - 01:43:49 | Speaker 2:

Stop looking at yourself in the mirror to see what kind of blemishes that you have.

01:43:50 - 01:43:50 | Speaker 5:

Like every hour.

01:43:51 - 01:43:52 | Speaker 2:

Let's see here.

01:43:55 - 01:43:56 | Speaker 3:

Drink White Claws.

01:43:57 - 01:44:16 | Speaker 2:

You know, that's actually one of the ones too. Yeah, here you go. Drinking any kind of seltzer beverage as your number one choice. Although you're a wine drinker, so that really doesn't work. Those are a few of those things. and then the rest of them are all guy stuff because guys shouldn't do. Like I mentioned before, never wear your hat backwards.

01:44:16 - 01:44:18 | Speaker 4:

Stop. Okay, I'm never going to stop doing that.

01:44:18 - 01:44:20 | Speaker 2:

You still have some time, right, Mike?

01:44:20 - 01:44:24 | Speaker 4:

I got a few years, but it doesn't matter. I'm still going to do it when I'm 60.

01:44:24 - 01:44:29 | Speaker 2:

And wearing a jersey of a team not at a sporting event.

01:44:29 - 01:44:33 | Speaker 6:

No, that's any age. That's not 40. I'm still going to do it.

01:44:33 - 01:44:43 | Speaker 2:

What do you guys think Shannon should do in this next week before she turns 40? You've got to call us, 844-MOJO-LIVE. Colby wants to talk to you. What's up, Colby?

01:44:44 - 01:44:54 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Shannon. I think you need to go to a club with Wes and twerk on him. Because before you – you might throw your back out.

01:44:56 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 4:

You have to do it to Laffy Taffy.

01:45:00 - 01:45:05 | Speaker 3:

Exactly, that's perfect That's great, twerk before your back hurt

01:45:05 - 01:45:07 | Speaker 6:

Doreen, hi

01:45:07 - 01:45:29 | Speaker 3:

Good morning guys Good morning Shannon, first of all, happy early birthday I wanted to tell you that The 40 is going to be your new 20 I feel like you're going to have The best year of your life I feel like there might be an engagement Coming up soon And you're going to start a whole new life

01:45:29 - 01:45:36 | Speaker 1:

with a whole new family wow that's big that's all that is some pressure right there Doreen do you

01:45:36 - 01:45:53 | Speaker 6:

think do you think what uh because you told me you're taking time off for uh for next week and I and I was like oh what do you got going on I thought maybe you're just taking time to hang out and stuff I didn't realize you had a big plan for your 40th do you think that that could happen On your big plan

01:45:53 - 01:46:19 | Speaker 1:

I don't know Because if I know Wes It could go two ways So I really don't know Because Wes is the type That wouldn't want to do anything That he wouldn't want to propose In a situation where I would expect it Like it would be cliche But he also knows that I am like The biggest of big romantic saps And so is he And it would be a good opportunity to do it So I don't know

01:46:19 - 01:46:20 | Speaker 3:

Do you want him to?

01:46:21 - 01:46:33 | Speaker 1:

On this trip? Um, I see I that's that that question makes me nervous. Yes, I want him to, but I don't want to say yes. And then it not happen. And then him him feel the pressure like he should have. Do you know what I mean?

01:46:33 - 01:46:38 | Speaker 6:

No, 100%. Yeah. Yeah. Do you want to share with the listeners what you're doing for your 40th birthday?

01:46:38 - 01:47:07 | Speaker 1:

So I, it has always been my dream to go to Paris for my, and for my 40th birthday. And so like in the, over the past couple of years, I've thought that's what I want to do. I want to save up money and that is how I want to celebrate my 40th birthday. Well, I went through my divorce and so I'm like, I, this is still something that I have dreamed of doing. So my plan was to go by myself truly. And then I met Wes, you know, a year and a half ago. And, um, and so he's like, I'm not letting you go to Paris by yourself. And of course we're doing this together.

01:47:08 - 01:47:11 | Speaker 6:

Wowie, could you imagine that, guys?

01:47:11 - 01:47:15 | Speaker 1:

I mean, I am so freaking excited. You have no idea.

01:47:15 - 01:47:16 | Speaker 6:

The Eiffel Tower proposal.

01:47:17 - 01:47:19 | Speaker 3:

No, no.

01:47:19 - 01:47:20 | Speaker 6:

Is that too cliche?

01:47:20 - 01:47:23 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, like chocolate croissant in the morning.

01:47:23 - 01:47:24 | Speaker 6:

Oh, okay.

01:47:24 - 01:47:26 | Speaker 3:

Every morning, Megan.

01:47:26 - 01:47:36 | Speaker 6:

And how about this? How about this? Then you go twerk out in front. Ronnie, what should Shannon do before next week, before she turns 40?

01:47:36 - 01:47:41 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. Your phone all cut out

01:47:41 - 01:47:43 | Speaker 6:

So we didn't get all the niceties What did you say?

01:47:45 - 01:47:53 | Speaker 2:

I was just saying I love you guys and good morning We love you too Happy early birthday Shannon, have you ever been

01:47:53 - 01:47:59 | Speaker 6:

Oh I want to know what she said You got a bad phone Stay in place real quick

01:47:59 - 01:48:01 | Speaker 4:

Rage room

01:48:01 - 01:48:03 | Speaker 6:

Oh go to a rage room

01:48:03 - 01:48:08 | Speaker 1:

Oh I do that at home Like, honestly, I have a problem.

01:48:09 - 01:48:11 | Speaker 6:

So have you ever gone to a raid room and twerking?

01:48:11 - 01:48:14 | Speaker 1:

I actually have, like, a pretty short time for myself.

01:48:14 - 01:48:23 | Speaker 6:

Our listeners gave you two pieces of great advice on that. Thank you guys so much. Adam, add a third. Adam, what should Shannon do before she turns 40 next week?

01:48:24 - 01:48:40 | Speaker 5:

Before you're 40, just start planning out your next big trip, your next big excursion, all the fun stuff. Your 40s end up being what you hoped your 20s would be. You've got a little bit of money. You're not dumb. You know what you like So you kind of take these trips And just enjoy life way better

01:48:40 - 01:48:44 | Speaker 6:

But give her one thing though That she should do before she turns 20

01:48:44 - 01:48:45 | Speaker 1:

I mean 40

01:48:45 - 01:48:50 | Speaker 6:

Or 40 Okay so I told

01:48:50 - 01:49:06 | Speaker 5:

Like the thing with plan out next trips The thing I said you shouldn't do In your 40s is 20 year olds Good advice A lot of people in their 40s try to do to younger kids because you want to stay young and it's their job. Not to worry about that.

01:49:06 - 01:49:08 | Speaker 6:

All right, okay. Tori, what's up?

01:49:09 - 01:49:15 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Mojo. Hi, Shannon. Hi. So my advice was, I have two things. The first one is get a belly piercing.

01:49:16 - 01:49:19 | Speaker 5:

Oh, God, that would seem like a midlife crisis, wouldn't it?

01:49:20 - 01:49:29 | Speaker 4:

And then the other one was get with you and a few friends and go to like a thought cave and just release all those impurities and embrace your new age.

01:49:30 - 01:49:32 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. There's actually one down the street here in Farmington Hills.

01:49:33 - 01:49:34 | Speaker 4:

Awesome, you can try it.

01:49:34 - 01:49:40 | Speaker 6:

Why a belly button piercing? I want to know. I'm just kind of giggling when you said that.

01:49:40 - 01:49:44 | Speaker 4:

Just because it's something that I would never do in my 40s.

01:49:46 - 01:49:55 | Speaker 1:

I love this text where somebody said, we need to bring back clutch cargos for just one night to celebrate. I would die and go to heaven.

01:49:55 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 6:

Honestly, would that not be the most fun?

01:50:00 - 01:50:20 | Speaker 3:

like throwback if we could ever find out I know it's now like some kind of a church Is it really a church again? So for those in Grand Rapids and in Toledo that don't know, the big 18 and over club in the Detroit area was Clutch Cargos in Pontiac and it was honestly everything that you would think an 18 and over club

01:50:20 - 01:50:22 | Speaker 1:

would be. It was glorious That was great

01:50:22 - 01:50:35 | Speaker 2:

Dear Shannon, I love you I can't believe how much I'm not sick of you Love, Deep Voice Guy On Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:50:36 - 01:50:57 | Speaker 3:

We're going to get you caught up on what's trending in the Dirty on the 30. We've got so much more of the show, including a War of the Roses that you must stick around for. Catching a wife cheating on her husband. You'll hear that. And they've got a new baby. It's a really sad situation, but a crazy War of the Roses. 9 o'clock or just a little after. What's up?

01:50:57 - 01:51:35 | Speaker 1:

Well, Buffalo Bills safety DeMar Hamlin has been discharged from a Buffalo hospital, which is still blowing my mind because a week ago, and we didn't even know if he was going to pull through this thing, nine days after going into cardiac arrest at that game in Miami, he is home, which is just miraculous to me. Dr. Jamie Nadley, the leader of DeMar's care team, made a statement and he said, we've completed a series of tests and evaluations and in consultation with team physicians, we are confident that DeMar can be safely discharged to continue his rehabilitation at home and with the pills. Excuse me. And he hasn't made any sort of statement about his career. Correct? I'm correct in saying that?

01:51:36 - 01:51:40 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I was queuing a song up. What was your question?

01:51:40 - 01:51:43 | Speaker 1:

It's okay. They answered it for me. I'm good. Did they answer it for you?

01:51:43 - 01:51:45 | Speaker 3:

What other questions do you have to meet right now?

01:51:46 - 01:51:48 | Speaker 1:

You look very nice today. Where are you going after the show?

01:51:48 - 01:51:52 | Speaker 3:

I have another big appointment today. I'll talk about that.

01:51:54 - 01:52:12 | Speaker 1:

Drew Taggart and Alex Powell from the Chainsmokers were on the Call Her Daddy podcast. They were talking about hooking up with fans. Both claim they've never hooked up with a diehard fan, like nobody who was ever wearing any of their merch or anything like that. But they didn't deny being a little naughty back in the day.

01:52:12 - 01:52:17 | Speaker 5:

how often do people propose threesomes with the two of you and how often have you accepted

01:52:17 - 01:52:29 | Speaker 6:

this is up to you to answer i don't want to answer this question seldom yeah yeah but when it's happened does it count if it's internationally

01:52:31 - 01:52:40 | Speaker 4:

didn't deny it finally came clean did you look at each other differently that morning the first time

01:52:40 - 01:53:03 | Speaker 6:

i think we were just like what just happened because like it wasn't like that they were never playing it you know what i mean it was always like just like i don't know what is happening right now but like i'm also just like i don't know where's that like it's weird i'm not gonna lie i don't know like how like that's how three sentences happen though yeah in any way absolutely it's usually just like this just starts oh it's oh that okay well you could say

01:53:03 - 01:53:12 | Speaker 2:

oh it just happened it was an accident but then did you hear his answer he said the first time Which means they willingly, the two of them went in on many threesomes together.

01:53:12 - 01:53:19 | Speaker 3:

That's weird, Spike. You and I have done a lot together. We have never, unfortunately, gotten a chance to do that.

01:53:20 - 01:53:22 | Speaker 2:

Very few lines drawn, but that's one of them.

01:53:23 - 01:53:34 | Speaker 1:

Prince Harry is under fire yet again over multiple factual errors in his new memoir, Spare. Mojo, you sent one to Megan and me yesterday on text. And it had to do with what Megan Markle was wearing on their first date.

01:53:34 - 01:53:42 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, she said she was wearing a dress. He said she was wearing pants, I believe, or something. No. Vice versa. No. What was it? What was it?

01:53:43 - 01:53:55 | Speaker 5:

You sent us a video of him saying that she was wearing, like, a black top and jeans and yada, yada, yada. And she said in her wedding dress, I believe, she had part of blue fabric of dress.

01:53:55 - 01:53:57 | Speaker 3:

A dress that she was wearing. That she wore on their first date.

01:53:57 - 01:54:11 | Speaker 5:

But somebody did some digging. Yeah, I know. But somebody did some digging. And he was describing the first time he saw her, a.k.a. I believe it was, like, an Instagram post. It was, yeah. She's saying the dress that I actually wore on our first date. They're talking about two different things.

01:54:11 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 1:

Yes, yeah. Well, another one that people are pointing out, the Duke of Sussex wrote that King Henry VI, who founded that prestigious boarding school, Eaton, which he attended, was his great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather. However, readers were like, well, that's actually not possible because Henry VI had only one son who died in battle at age 17 before he could have any children of his own. So there was no direct line to him. A second error that has been fact-checked since Spare was released on Tuesday was Harry's claim that he offered to buy Meghan Markle's dad a first-class ticket from Mexico to the UK on Air New Zealand. A spokesperson for Air New Zealand said the airline has never operated flights between Mexico and Great Britain. And so people are just digging.

01:55:00 - 01:55:01 | Speaker 2:

Oh, man, people really want...

01:55:01 - 01:55:33 | Speaker 1:

Did you hear about the Xbox one, Megan? So people are calling him out for lying about receiving an Xbox as a gift in 1997. He wrote that Princess Diana had bought him an Xbox for his 13th birthday, and it was given to him by his late mother's sister after Princess Diana passed away. However, Xboxes didn't exist until 2001. They actually weren't sold in England until a year after that. So there's no way they're saying that he could have gotten one in 1997.

01:55:35 - 01:55:35 | Unknown:

Okay.

01:55:36 - 01:55:52 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, I don't know why this interview has resurfaced and is going around all of a sudden. If you have any insight into that, please let me know. But it's from 2021, so it's not that old. It's Seth Rogen talking about dodging Tom Cruise's attempt to recruit him to join Scientology.

01:55:52 - 01:56:08 | Speaker 4:

And it's like with Scientology. he said if you let me just tell you what it was really about you would say no way if you let me just give me like 20 minutes to like really just tell you what it was about you would say

01:56:08 - 01:56:24 | Speaker 3:

no way can we come out of this are we strong enough to have him do this to us and not be converted thank god judd was like i think we're good like let's just talk about movies and stuff I was like, woof, dodge that bullet.

01:56:24 - 01:56:26 | Speaker 6:

So this is old? This is not a recent interview?

01:56:26 - 01:56:31 | Speaker 1:

It's not even two years old, but for some reason, it's like everybody's talking about it again.

01:56:32 - 01:56:51 | Speaker 6:

Well, that's interesting, though, that I'd never heard it before, but it's interesting that Tom Cruise, that's how he would recruit. He's like, let me tell you a little bit about that. I think that, and Megan, I know that you're fascinated with Scientology, but I think that if Tom Cruise got 15 minutes with you, you would be moving to Clearwater, Florida before we know it.

01:56:53 - 01:56:58 | Speaker 2:

How do I be respectful without getting a billboard of me in the city of Detroit?

01:56:59 - 01:57:05 | Speaker 6:

You would be down there hanging out with what's his name? Miscavige.

01:57:06 - 01:57:27 | Speaker 2:

David or Shelly. Well, I guess right now they're both missing. They're both kind of not being very truthful about if they're alive or not. But I will say this to anybody listening who is a member of the Church of Signed Allergy. I am 100% ready to sign my billion-year contract, so somebody please bring it to me. Give her a call.

01:57:27 - 01:57:28 | Speaker 6:

Call her agent.

01:57:28 - 01:57:34 | Speaker 2:

I'm ready to be a part of the Sea Org. And if none of those words make sense to you, please Google them because they're terrifying.

01:57:34 - 01:57:36 | Speaker 6:

We're back with more, including coming up next on the Mojo in the Morning Show. The true reason why I had to dress up on Monday, I actually had to go to court, and I'll explain why. Next.

01:59:06 - 01:59:18 | Speaker 5:

Oh, he cheated on his wife with you, and now you're going to be together forever? Another War of the Roses is after 9 on Mojo in the Morning. Oh, women cheat too?

01:59:18 - 01:59:19 | Speaker 4:

Did you just call me a whore?

01:59:19 - 01:59:23 | Speaker 5:

We catch a cheater in less than 15 minutes. War of the Roses.

01:59:23 - 01:59:24 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning.

01:59:36 - 02:00:00 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the Morning show. You got to come clean on something. And the other day I was dressed nicer than I normally am. Normally I just wear like a sweatshirt, you know, pair of jeans. Or sometimes I'll just put it like on a quarter zip and a polo shirt or something. And the other day I was dressed a little bit.

02:00:00 - 02:02:27 | Speaker 3:

more professionally i was wearing some black pants with a gray sweater and a button-up shirt and i was asked the question of why you dress so nice and then ask the questions and i well that was it that's true you did say thank you uh for that too the compliment you just say you look very nice what's going on today and i i just you know kind of came up with a bunch of bs well i couldn't say what i had to say or or what i what truthfully was doing because i didn't know if i could and then I did what I had to do that day which I had to go to court on Monday so and it was not for me but it was for somebody that I know and and I'm close to and I did something on Monday that I have never done before but I wonder if any of our listeners or if any of you guys have ever done before I was actually a character witness for somebody so I went into court it was actually not uh not what you'd see on television it was not I was kind of disappointed I thought that I was going to go in and I was going to get the whole you know raise your right hand you swear to tell the truth the whole truth nothing but the truth but it was more so I was being interviewed and I was not you know having to because it was not um me swearing before the the court it was more so me talking to a judge and there were attorneys there and there were people that were that were you know for both there was two sides uh a long story short not giving out too much information because i was asked not to somebody that i know that i am very close to and chelsea is very close to and our kids are very close to is going through a divorce and there is a custody issue that is going into play and so i character witnessed for this guy who is a good father and a, just a, actually he's a great father and a great man. And so I had to go to court and I had to sit there and tell the judge my feelings about him and some of the close ties that we have and my kids and all the rest of this stuff. Yeah. And so it was a little bit weird because to me going to court, and I've only been to court a few times, I've been to court because I had jury duty And then I've been to court because I got to meet a judge locally who said, would you ever want to come and witness what, you know, we do? And so I sat in on her courtroom and I got to watch a couple of cases.

02:02:27 - 02:02:28 | Speaker 2:

You love that.

02:02:28 - 02:03:15 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I do love it. And then I've been to court for something I didn't love, which was I had to go to traffic court and I had to do the whole, you know, your honor, please don't give me all these points because of my insurance will go up. Which, by the way, that court is, to me, was more stressful than any other of the other situations that I've had. Because the whole going for traffic, which I'm sure many of you guys have probably had to do, is kind of a tough one. But this was a weird situation because I know the couple, and I know what's going on here. And I know that the couple's going through a real bad struggle. And you guys know what it's like to go through a divorce. and I know it's not probably an easy situation even though it sounds to me like your guys' situation thank God was not what these guys are going through

02:03:15 - 02:03:21 | Speaker 2:

it's still not fun and I have friends going through divorces right now that are really and a family member really really

02:03:21 - 02:03:50 | Speaker 3:

messy and ugly and I'm going to say this and I know I'll piss off somebody on this one but I always believe that the messiness comes into play when lawyers come into play Like I think that when lawyers come into play And no offense to you lawyers I've got a brother and I've got a niece That are lawyers But you guys make it messy It's not so much the The people that make it messy You guys are the ones that bring the messiness into this thing

02:03:50 - 02:03:53 | Speaker 2:

Or is that just when it becomes more like real And official

02:03:53 - 02:03:57 | Speaker 3:

No they make it messy because they remember They get paid by the hour

02:03:57 - 02:04:12 | Speaker 1:

Yeah they're looking for things I've watched some bad lawyers drag out divorces make it 20 times worse on the relationships on the families and on the on the checkbook obviously okay they'll drain your bank account and drag it out when you really don't need to

02:04:12 - 02:05:00 | Speaker 3:

well in in the sad thing is that before the divorce these guys were co-parenting in such an amazing way and then when the divorce came into play all of a sudden it calls into question how horrible of a human being each person is and and so so i was i was brought in along with a bunch of people i mean there's a ton of you know different people each side had like five or six people that they could bring in to be character witnesses for them my i think my character witness part you guys would be proud of me was a good one because i wasn't speaking as mojo i was speaking as my real name tom because the person that i know i know because of my children and it's somebody that my children have had a great experience with and so

02:05:00 - 02:06:26 | Speaker 2:

So what ended up happening was I sat down, they asked me questions, the lawyers got to ask me questions, the judge asked me a ton of questions, and I gave out the, I said the truth. Yeah. And I, you know, I said, you know, this person should be in their child's life. And honestly, I will say this to you guys. I sat there and I thought to myself while I was doing this, or actually before I was doing this, when I was watching other people do it, I thought, if I were in this position, who would I call as my character witness? Because I saw some of the people that he called and, you know, there was family. There was his, you know, his mother. So there was the, you know, the grandmother. and then there were you know mentors of him you know that were there like teachers and and a pastor and stuff like that and then there's like me who honestly I've only known this person for 15 years or so so it's not like we you know have known each other for life we've we came into each other's life like maybe 15 years ago but um I thought to myself I'm like if I need character witnesses who would i call yeah would i call chelsea my wife it depends on if i really pissed her off like the day before um i'd call it i'd call aunt pat because aunt pat i could i could commit a murder and aunt pat would take the fall for me but for that reason i don't even think they

02:06:26 - 02:06:39 | Speaker 1:

call family i don't think they call siblings and spouses i think you need someone who's not related so i think your boss tony would obviously you guys are good friends i think you'd be a good character and then your barista. He'd be a great one. Starbucks, your barista would.

02:06:42 - 02:07:34 | Speaker 2:

Actually, Tony would be a good one. That would be a really good one. Tony would be a good character witness. I'd call him. I couldn't have Jeff Sackwell, my buddy, be a character witness because he would talk way too much because that was one of the things, too, is like, don't overly explain things. Just be right direct to the point. And all I kept thinking to myself was, this is so hard for me. I actually did something that we do on the air all the time that we call on the show, it's always when you're in the middle of a topic, you've got to make sure that the listeners know what the topic's all about. I did the whole thing where I'm having a conversation and talking and saying this thing. Again, we're talking about this. I did the whole Hey, it's Mojo in the morning. How are you? Call the phone number. Yeah, I'm recapping the whole thing there.

02:07:34 - 02:07:35 | Speaker 3:

Well, we've got coming up.

02:07:35 - 02:07:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. But who would you guys call as your character witness? Who would be your character witnesses?

02:07:40 - 02:07:50 | Speaker 3:

I would call my best friends. I would call my friend Ashley. I feel like she knows me kind of inside and out. My friend Lindsay.

02:07:50 - 02:07:55 | Speaker 2:

And Ashley is a good example of you don't need to know a person for your whole life because you've not been.

02:07:55 - 02:08:19 | Speaker 3:

No, I haven't even been friends with them for probably five years. But they are my people. I would call my friend Tammy because she, I've been friends with her for a very long time. And she is just my, I just, she knows like all of the, you know, all of the messy about me. I would call Wes. I would call my ex-husband, Andrew. I think he's. That's a good one to have. I really, really would.

02:08:19 - 02:08:20 | Speaker 2:

People wouldn't expect that.

02:08:20 - 02:08:22 | Speaker 3:

No, I would call him. I would call, I'd call you.

02:08:23 - 02:08:28 | Speaker 2:

That's a good one too, but you better be nice to me. I mean, I feel like I'm nice to you. All right. You look very nice to me.

02:08:28 - 02:08:30 | Speaker 3:

That's the second time I complimented you.

02:08:30 - 02:08:32 | Speaker 2:

Spike, who would you call? Who would be your character?

02:08:32 - 02:08:56 | Speaker 1:

Well, definitely you guys would be one at the top of the list because you've known me every day at the worst hour of the morning for over a decade. So I think you know the true me. I would also call my best friends Todd and Tim. And then I would probably also call, there's like at least one or two bartenders that I know on the regular that they can speak for my personality.

02:08:56 - 02:09:00 | Speaker 3:

Think about bartenders, hairstylists, People who actually know you. Did you imagine?

02:09:00 - 02:09:08 | Speaker 1:

Because they can say, I've heard all his secrets, and I've seen the best and worst of customers, and I can tell you he's very even-keeled. He's very nice to people.

02:09:08 - 02:09:10 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my lash lady.

02:09:10 - 02:09:12 | Speaker 1:

Your lash lady is a good one.

02:09:13 - 02:09:16 | Speaker 2:

That would actually be good. Megan, you'd have to call your brother.

02:09:17 - 02:09:20 | Speaker 4:

Can you call your brother? I know, that's why I didn't call my sister.

02:09:20 - 02:09:22 | Speaker 2:

No, they had...

02:09:22 - 02:09:23 | Speaker 4:

You can do family?

02:09:23 - 02:09:25 | Speaker 2:

There was a sibling, yes. That was at this one, yes.

02:09:25 - 02:09:28 | Speaker 4:

I feel like if I was the judge, though, I'd be like, biased.

02:09:29 - 02:09:33 | Speaker 2:

No, because here's the deal. Not all the time do your brother or sisters like you.

02:09:33 - 02:09:34 | Speaker 4:

That's true.

02:09:34 - 02:09:41 | Speaker 1:

But if you're volunteering the one, if you're calling the one to stand, then it's obviously a good one.

02:09:43 - 02:09:51 | Speaker 4:

I don't think I'd call you guys. Genuinely. If I were to call anybody from the show, it would probably be Mike.

02:09:52 - 02:09:53 | Speaker 2:

You know what? That's a good one.

02:09:53 - 02:09:55 | Speaker 4:

He's really nice. I'd call Mike for sure.

02:09:56 - 02:09:58 | Speaker 1:

I wouldn't call on Megan for help because she'd never see the text.

02:10:00 - 02:10:01 | Speaker 5:

You'd never be there for me.

02:10:01 - 02:10:04 | Speaker 6:

This is why I wouldn't admit you. You proved my point.

02:10:04 - 02:10:05 | Speaker 1:

Thank you very much.

02:10:06 - 02:10:09 | Speaker 3:

Misfit Victor, who would you, or what are you calling about?

02:10:11 - 02:10:26 | Speaker 1:

All you'd have to do is call me. That's all you'd have to do. You would be the worst character witness. Why would I be the worst character witness? You know, I could give so many examples of how many times you've talked me off the ledge and what you've done for me. Like, it would be great. It would be like, that's all you need.

02:10:26 - 02:10:33 | Speaker 3:

Well, Victor, let me just say this. They would look at your social media, and they would right away go, this guy's a bad guy.

02:10:34 - 02:10:38 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but I'm just saying, I have nothing but high regard for you.

02:10:38 - 02:11:00 | Speaker 3:

All right, let me ask you a question. If you had to character witness for Mike, okay, you listen to the show on a very frequent basis. You have to character witness for Mike right now, who is right now in a little bit of hot water. All right, I'm the judge. So, Misfit Victor, tell us your relationship with Mike.

02:11:01 - 02:11:10 | Speaker 1:

I think Mike is a longtime friend of mine. I bought him this microwave egg thing, and he likes it a lot. He's a great dad, a great husband.

02:11:10 - 02:11:14 | Speaker 3:

Well, you say he's a great dad. Give me an example of why he's a great dad.

02:11:15 - 02:11:20 | Speaker 1:

I mean, I just see the social media posts that he posts with his kids, and his kids love him a lot.

02:11:21 - 02:11:23 | Speaker 3:

How do you really know they're his kids?

02:11:23 - 02:11:25 | Speaker 1:

Do you remember his birthday on, like, his bosses? Yeah.

02:11:26 - 02:11:42 | Speaker 3:

I would never call it him. You've got to bring that up. Yeah. They ask questions like that. How do you really know that? You know, it's like they ask these questions. I'm like, you're trying to throw me off here right now. Why are you doing this whole thing? I've got a whole monologue that I want to say. So, Mike.

02:11:42 - 02:11:43 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

02:11:43 - 02:12:05 | Speaker 3:

You have to character witness right now. I want you to character witness for Reese. Okay? Reese, our director of social impact. Listeners may not know this, but Reese works hard on everything that you view on our social media, the videos that are put up on our social media. Character witness for him. Tell me about Reese. Why is Reese a good guy?

02:12:06 - 02:12:21 | Speaker 2:

He is hardworking and genuine at his core. I think that, like all people in the world, he has slip-ups, but he owns them, which I truly respect. And when it comes down to it, he has the best intentions.

02:12:22 - 02:12:24 | Speaker 3:

Maybe I should ask Spike to be his character witness.

02:12:24 - 02:12:26 | Speaker 4:

Thanks, Mike. I appreciate that.

02:12:26 - 02:12:30 | Speaker 3:

Mike, that is very nice. Reese, character witness now for Spike.

02:12:31 - 02:12:32 | Speaker 4:

Okay. You ready?

02:12:32 - 02:12:36 | Speaker 3:

All right. Tell us a little. Let me ask a specific question, Reese.

02:12:36 - 02:12:36 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:12:37 - 02:12:38 | Speaker 3:

How do you know Spike?

02:12:39 - 02:12:45 | Speaker 4:

I know Spike because I sit next to him every single morning, Monday through Friday, every morning.

02:12:45 - 02:12:56 | Speaker 3:

Yeah? Yeah. And tell us, because I'm guessing that not always do you guys have fun and sunshine in your lives, but tell us about some of the fun and sunshine moments.

02:12:56 - 02:13:13 | Speaker 4:

Some of the fun and shiny moments. Well, Spike is just a great time overall. He likes to not pay attention to a lot of things and focus on the fun things. He likes to drink, and so do I.

02:13:13 - 02:13:19 | Speaker 5:

Your Honor, I don't know this gentleman I don't know who he is

02:13:19 - 02:13:24 | Speaker 3:

He was not on my list Alright Spike, you're on Megan now You get to character witness for Megan

02:13:24 - 02:13:41 | Speaker 5:

I first came into contact with Megan Over six years ago When we added her to the family That is the Mojo in the morning show In my six years of knowing her She's demonstrated A responsibility And an enthusiasm

02:13:41 - 02:13:52 | Speaker 3:

A spirit for which it's contagious Okay, quick, excuse me, let me stop you for a second. I'm the opposing lawyer. Responsibility, didn't you guys have to bust down her apartment door once because she didn't show up to work?

02:13:53 - 02:14:21 | Speaker 5:

Well, I wasn't there. There's a lot of things that you hear about in media that, as we know now, are called fake news. And I wasn't there at her apartment, so I don't know anything about that. But I do know that she, here's her character in one sentence. She will eat Waffle House in the morning when she's sober. Oh, wow. That is amazing. That's not positive.

02:14:22 - 02:14:32 | Speaker 3:

That's not positive. Okay, maybe her judgment's not there. That's, excuse me, strike that from the record. Courtney, who would be your character witness?

02:14:33 - 02:14:37 | Speaker 6:

Definitely not my sister. Harris would be the first one to throw me under the bus.

02:14:39 - 02:14:48 | Speaker 3:

All right, we're going to give you a word to enter at mojointhemorning.com in a second to pay your bills, win $1,000. First, though, you must listen to this War of the Roses.

02:14:48 - 02:14:54 | Speaker 1:

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

02:14:55 - 02:14:57 | Speaker 3:

Jacob, why do you think your wife's cheating on you?

02:14:58 - 02:15:01 | Speaker 1:

I guess I'm not there. Emotionally, available physically.

02:15:01 - 02:15:03 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. That's why I'm calling you on.

02:15:03 - 02:15:04 | Speaker 1:

You're blaming yourself for it?

02:15:06 - 02:15:10 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I really don't. I have no clue whatsoever.

02:15:10 - 02:15:17 | Speaker 1:

What has she been doing that has made you feel that, you know, maybe there's somebody else in her life?

02:15:19 - 02:15:41 | Speaker 3:

She's been very vocal about how she's not in a very good mental state, and she was talking about being depressed and wanting to go, starting to do something more physical like yoga and she has been not committing to that like schedule and also has been staying out that i would consider later than normal than for someone

02:15:41 - 02:16:01 | Speaker 1:

who has a two-year-old daughter okay so when you say that the like the going out and doing all this stuff you don't believe that she's going out to try to better herself and try to make herself feel better you know from what she's going through you think she's going out with a possibly another guy

02:16:01 - 02:16:07 | Speaker 3:

i definitely think that she's not being honest with me that's for sure so whether or not we're

02:16:07 - 02:16:18 | Speaker 2:

in there do you get that there's another guy because to me it just sounds like she's going overwhelmed right overwhelmed and maybe a little lost and just trying to figure herself out well

02:16:18 - 02:16:32 | Speaker 3:

i'm constantly waiting for her to come home so we can have dinner with our daughter and then on the weekends when she's staying out late with girlfriends, that seems not like, you know, 10 p.m., 11 p.m., 2, 3, 4 in the morning. Wow. That seemed like a normal.

02:16:32 - 02:16:35 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Okay. And this is totally out of character for her.

02:16:36 - 02:16:43 | Speaker 3:

I've known her since we've been to dating since we were in high school. So, yeah, I mean, we're in our mid-30s, so it's been quite a difference.

02:16:44 - 02:17:02 | Speaker 1:

All right, we're going to see what's going on. We're going to see if she's cheating on you with the War of the Roses. We hope that the, you know, War of the Roses proves that Jacob is the only guy in his wife's life. We're going to make a phone call. Hang on the phone, okay? And mute your phone, too.

02:17:03 - 02:17:04 | Unknown:

All right.

02:17:15 - 02:17:16 | Speaker 5:

Hello?

02:17:17 - 02:17:58 | Speaker 2:

Hi, I'm looking for Natasha. Hi, I'm Natasha. Hi, Natasha. My name is Nicole, and I'm calling from a brand new online floral company called rosesbloom.com with an offer for some free flowers, flowers that we're hoping you will send to a special man in your life. Because according to a recent survey that we just did, we found that 60% of men actually like to receive flowers. So if you have about 30 seconds to answer two quick survey questions for me, we are going to give you a dozen long stemmed red roses. We will send them to the man of your choice anywhere in the country, absolutely free of charge. We're just hoping that you will use us in the future when it comes to buying flowers.

02:18:01 - 02:18:05 | Speaker 5:

Okay. I mean, are these those flower box things that I see on Instagram?

02:18:06 - 02:18:16 | Speaker 2:

It actually is. That's exactly what it is. So it doesn't look... It's different from, you know, a normal arrangement that you would see. It's actually pretty cool looking, I think.

02:18:17 - 02:18:22 | Speaker 5:

Okay. And again, definitely you're not... I'm not going to be charged or anything like that.

02:18:23 - 02:18:41 | Speaker 2:

No, no, I'm not even going to ask you for any of that info. I promise. Just two quick questions, and then I'll get the info of who you want to send them to. Yeah, sure. Okay. Have you purchased flowers in the last six months, Natasha? No. Okay. Do you plan on purchasing flowers in the next six months?

02:18:43 - 02:18:46 | Speaker 5:

I don't think so.

02:18:47 - 02:18:47 | Unknown:

Okay.

02:18:47 - 02:19:00 | Speaker 2:

That's it. We're all done. And as a thank you for participating in that rosesbloom.com survey, we're going to go ahead and get your order started. So I'm going to need the first and the last name of the gentleman that you want to send these to.

02:19:02 - 02:19:12 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. Sure. And again, I'm not going to get a receipt or anything like that. Say that one more time. I'm not going to get a receipt or anything like that.

02:19:13 - 02:19:46 | Speaker 2:

No, no. They're going directly to the person. Okay. um yeah uh dylan okay and what i'm going to do natasha i'm going to start an account for you on here just so hopefully you will order from us in the future so what is dylan's relationship to you um friend okay and we can also include a card with that box of roses and did you want

02:19:46 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 5:

to write something on that or I could just sign your name um yeah I guess just I guess just write the word mine and just

02:20:00 - 02:20:06 | Speaker 3:

Put a little heart on the note. Okay. Do you want me to sign your name on here, or will he know who they're from?

02:20:08 - 02:20:10 | Speaker 5:

He'll know who they're from.

02:20:10 - 02:20:11 | Unknown:

Okay.

02:20:11 - 02:20:17 | Speaker 3:

I also have to let you know really fast that this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes. Are you okay with that?

02:20:18 - 02:20:24 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah, I guess. I guess every call these days is recorded for those things, for sure.

02:20:24 - 02:20:25 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:20:26 - 02:20:36 | Speaker 4:

Natasha, I'm going to jump on just to get more information from you. including the the phone number can I can I get that first so that we can send

02:20:36 - 02:20:51 | Speaker 5:

that info I'm sorry my phone number or his phone number no I you said you sent it to we just sent it to Dylan yes and I'm sorry no I'm with the same company

02:20:51 - 02:20:53 | Speaker 4:

and I'm just writing info down.

02:20:53 - 02:21:01 | Speaker 5:

Oh, gotcha. Yes, Dylan. 616-89-

02:21:04 - 02:21:48 | Speaker 4:

Okay, perfect. And I just wanted to also inform you of one last thing before we go, that while you were sending the flowers and sending them off to Dylan, your husband Jacob was listening into the conversation and just heard every word that you just said Natasha this is the Mojo in the morning show and we were doing the War of the Roses and your husband Jacob suspected that there was somebody else in your life and we're assuming that somebody else is the person you just sent the flowers to

02:21:48 - 02:21:57 | Speaker 5:

I'm sorry, you're just so confused. What's going on?

02:21:58 - 02:22:09 | Speaker 4:

Your husband, Jacob, is on the phone with us right now. Jacob, what did you want to say to your wife? You have a two-year-old daughter.

02:22:12 - 02:22:16 | Speaker 5:

I don't get what's going on here.

02:22:17 - 02:22:20 | Speaker 3:

Natasha, do you want to explain who Dylan is?

02:22:21 - 02:22:27 | Speaker 5:

I don't feel that I have to explain anything.

02:22:28 - 02:22:30 | Speaker 1:

Well, not to us, but you certainly do to him.

02:22:34 - 02:22:48 | Speaker 5:

Oh, well, uh, I, I, this is just, this is, this is weird. This is uncomfortable. I don't need to explain anything to all of you.

02:22:50 - 02:22:55 | Speaker 1:

It seems really weird, so it seems like you'd want to clear that up right now and explain.

02:22:57 - 02:23:12 | Speaker 4:

Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to take you guys and let you talk privately and just know, Natasha, that everything that we just heard was recorded. So hang on one second.

02:23:13 - 02:23:20 | Speaker 6:

This is the home of War of the Roses. Mojo. Mojo in the Morning. We're busting cheaters.

02:23:20 - 02:23:23 | Speaker 3:

How dare you? How f***ing dare you?

02:23:23 - 02:23:25 | Speaker 6:

It's War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

02:23:25 - 02:23:26 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning.

02:23:29 - 02:23:34 | Speaker 6:

Call the show now. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548.

02:23:35 - 02:24:13 | Speaker 4:

Just tuning in right now, Jacob suspected that his wife, Natasha, was cheating on him when things just started getting a little awkward with her not coming home after going out with friends she's been going through some things and man i'm telling you what she's going through more things now with war of the roses because she just a few moments ago sent flowers to another guy and a very flirtatious card that she wrote out too and mike You also say she said something in this comment that she made to Shannon that is very suspicious. What was the comment? What's that?

02:24:14 - 02:24:21 | Speaker 2:

I felt like she was covering her tracks the whole time because she wanted to make sure no receipt was going to be sent to her.

02:24:21 - 02:24:30 | Speaker 4:

You know what? It's funny. I didn't hear that when we actually made the call initially, and I heard it when I went back and listened back to it. I'm going to play that for you right now. Take a listen.

02:24:31 - 02:24:37 | Speaker 5:

Sure. I'm not going to get a receipt or anything like that. Say that one more time. I'm not going to get a receipt or anything like that.

02:24:38 - 02:24:40 | Speaker 3:

Nope. Nope. They're going directly to the person.

02:24:40 - 02:24:41 | Speaker 4:

All right.

02:24:41 - 02:24:49 | Speaker 3:

Not only did she say, try to make sure that there was no receipt, I think her message on the card said everything, to just write, mine.

02:24:50 - 02:24:51 | Speaker 4:

Right. Right. Yeah.

02:24:51 - 02:24:52 | Speaker 3:

Come on.

02:24:54 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 4:

You know, it's tough to catch women cheating in War of the Roses, to be blatantly honest with you. in less

02:25:00 - 02:25:23 | Speaker 1:

We know that there's another phone number, and we can do a three-way call, which we do that often on our show. And we have three-way War of the Roses coming up, I'm sure, in the coming weeks. But it's tough to get women to not be suspicious when we're calling up, where guys are a little easier. And I think also it's War of the Roses, too. Let's just say it.

02:25:23 - 02:25:25 | Speaker 2:

Women are sneakier and smarter.

02:25:26 - 02:25:59 | Speaker 1:

02:25:59 - 02:26:04 | Speaker 2:

Well, I mean, the first words out of his mouth were, you have a two-year-old daughter.

02:26:04 - 02:26:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah. How could you do this? And also, when he was explaining why he wanted to do the roses, he's blaming himself, it sounds like.

02:26:13 - 02:26:18 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I guess I'm not there emotionally, available physically. I don't know.

02:26:18 - 02:26:22 | Speaker 1:

I mean, that got me, too. Is your name Helena?

02:26:23 - 02:26:24 | Speaker 4:

Yes, it is.

02:26:24 - 02:26:26 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Helena. It's Mojo in the Morning, War of the Roses.

02:26:27 - 02:26:41 | Speaker 4:

Yes. So I feel like she was a deer caught in the headlights. I feel like she thought she was not going to be caught, and all of a sudden she is, and she didn't know what to do. And truthfully, Jacob and their daughter deserve so much better than that.

02:26:42 - 02:26:54 | Speaker 1:

Well, I feel for that. I feel for a two-year-old, you know, who obviously doesn't know what's going on right now. but that child's life just completely changed, you know? Do you know any women that cheat?

02:26:55 - 02:27:11 | Speaker 4:

I do not. I've seen more guys that truthfully cheat. I'm sure women do, but I think that they kind of keep it private because I feel like they feel like they're going to be judged so much, which truthfully they should be because no one should cheat.

02:27:11 - 02:28:53 | Speaker 1:

So, you know, there is a stat that's out, and it's from last year, and it's from the Institutes of Family Studies, and they surveyed who cheats more or who is more unfaithful in infidelity in marriages, men or women. And they said, according to a general study that was done, men are more likely to cheat than women with 20% of men and 13% of women having reported that their partner cheated on them. However, the gender gap varies per age. They found that if you are married between the ages of 18 and 29, that more women between those ages will go out of the marriage and will end up cheating. Where as they get older, it seems to be that more guys are the ones that cheat. I thought that would be different. because I don't know you know I think that women to me always seem like they're more into the marriage early on and I think that guys are the ones that are still playing and still in their dating days and then I feel like the cheating comes into play later in a marriage for for women because to be honest with you they probably aren't getting as much attention from the guy as they should but also i also feel like there's a situation where a lot of times women you know have uh you know have a little bit of boredom in relationship you know i don't know i comments from listeners on that if you want to tell us maybe you've been in in this and you want to tell us what your thoughts are 844 mojo live i'd love for you to share your story on the air for others

02:28:53 - 02:29:02 | Speaker 2:

because we are getting a lot of text messages from people that heard this and immediately put them back in their situation my ex-wife did the same thing two-year-old son was out running around

02:29:02 - 02:29:25 | Speaker 1:

uh and that's the other thing too is i maybe i'm naive into thinking this but i would think that if you just have a baby your focus is obviously on this beautiful baby that you just went through but but then again we've had war of the roses where a woman just gives birth to a baby and she says that she wants to feel pretty again and sometimes the they they feel like going out and flirting with another male or female makes them feel pretty again what's up alexis

02:29:25 - 02:30:05 | Speaker 3:

yeah i was gonna say the same thing my heart breaks for this couple i mean he the husband admitted to being emotionally and physically unavailable um and she is dealing she's a first time mom and it sounds like they're just overwhelmed and they've kind of lost sight of their relationship and focusing on this baby um it takes two people to make it work and i'm not just I'm not making excuses for what she's done but having a brand new baby it's challenging and like you were just saying women oftentimes don't feel it attractive and it sounds like he's emotionally and physically unavailable and she's just looking

02:30:05 - 02:30:23 | Speaker 2:

for that reassurance yeah i really you know good points and you know what i i hope they get some counseling i know that whenever we put you know like in jacob's case we put him in touch with daniel moss our divorce attorney friend he always makes sure that they go get counseling

02:30:23 - 02:30:54 | Speaker 3:

so yeah i would hope they would get counseling before an attorney so i i think they can work this out yeah jen actually says the same thing right jen yeah i i agree just for the daughter's sake because we don't really know what the actual circumstance is it could have been just this one guy so i think there's a possibility as long as they go to counseling and try to work out their issues that's worth it for the child to try to work it out yeah thank you for the call uh coming

02:30:54 - 02:32:15 | Speaker 2:

up next on the mojo in the morning show listeners not happy with the last set of calls that you just heard um and actually angry at us for what they think is giving natasha special treatment you will hear that after shannon does the dirty on the 30 in our war of the roses recap if you miss the war of the roses again you can always listen to every war of the roses and phone scam that we do by going to our podcast you can get them on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get podcasts just search Mojo in the Morning. A couple of things I do want to bring up that's on the way in moments here you'll hear a phone scan from Spike a very funny phone scan by the way one that you will probably play for friends and then after 10 there is a large amount of People in our listening area that have pet alligators. I know it sounds weird to say that, but it's true. People who have pet alligators. It's now become the new pet pig. Everybody had pigs, remember? Well, what you're doing, could it be illegal in your town? We'll tell you. Our good friend Karen Drew is going to join us from WDIV, from Local 4 and the Defenders, and we'll talk to her in a little bit. What do you got in this hour's journey?

02:32:15 - 02:32:23 | Speaker 5:

Prince Harry will not be welcome at his dad's coronation in May following the release of his memoir, Spare. No, that's coming from a palace source.

02:32:23 - 02:32:37 | Speaker 2:

Can I play a drop right now? I've got an official royal drop that will help with that whole thing. Oh, God, where's my duh drop? Duh. Yeah, well, I mean, again, I don't know if that's true.

02:32:37 - 02:33:13 | Speaker 5:

I mean, anything now, I'm like, I don't know what's going on. Senior royals, apparently, though, have zero desire to spend any sort of time with Meghan and Harry. So it's unclear, though, whether officially King Charles will even extend an invite to the couple for the coronation. And I mean, while promoting Spare, Harry has pretty much dodged questions about whether or not he'll be there. He told Tom Bradby that he said a lot can happen between now and then when asked if he will go to see his father crowned in May. And another source claiming this week the family expects Harry and Meghan to find a reason not to be there. So we'll see.

02:33:13 - 02:33:22 | Speaker 2:

Wouldn't it be interesting if Harry Doesn't get invited But Meghan Markle's father gets invited That goofball

02:33:22 - 02:33:24 | Speaker 4:

Why would I not even be surprised by that

02:33:24 - 02:33:26 | Speaker 2:

Front row center put him right there

02:33:26 - 02:33:41 | Speaker 4:

Do you think Princess Eugenia is going to be invited Because she's been spending so much time With Harry and Meghan Yes I do Which one is Princess Eugenia It's Harry's cousin I believe it's Fergie's daughter The one with the hats

02:33:42 - 02:33:47 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. That's all I know about her. Her sister, Beatrice. Will Anna and Elsa be there, too?

02:33:50 - 02:33:54 | Speaker 2:

Mike and I are on the same level. That's our limits to knowing about her. I don't know. I have no idea.

02:33:55 - 02:34:35 | Speaker 5:

Actress Felicity Huffman heading back to TV screens in her first on-screen role since her involvement in that college admissions scandal. She is set to appear in the pilot episode of The Good Lawyer, which is going to be a legal spinoff of ABC's popular medical drama, The Good Doctor. The episode is set to air during The Good Doctors' sixth season on March 6th. President Biden's aides found another batch of classified documents, which is not good. Now, if you remember earlier in the week, we told you the first batch of classified documents was found at the Penn Biden Center in Washington. Not sure when or where this second batch was discovered by Biden's aides. This is Senator Josh Howley talking about it.

02:34:36 - 02:34:49 | Speaker 1:

It can't be that we have two tiers of justice in this country. It can't be that there's one rule for Republicans and a different rule for Democrats. You know, Merrick Garland said, oh, we have to have a special prosecutor for Trump. Well, that means we've got to have one for Biden.

02:34:49 - 02:34:49 | Unknown:

Yeah.

02:34:50 - 02:34:58 | Speaker 5:

And lastly, after winning a Golden Globe for White Lotus, Jennifer Coolidge shared. That's a respect on her name.

02:34:58 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 4:

Shared that.

02:35:00 - 02:35:07 | Speaker 2:

her dream acting role would be this so now what's the ultimate dream role for you now

02:35:07 - 02:35:13 | Speaker 4:

i've always wanted to play a dolphin a dolphin like a no like flipper yeah you know when i got

02:35:13 - 02:35:26 | Speaker 5:

some sort of uh you know like a something like that olivia wild saw the interview and tweeted i will make this happen dude you could film jennifer coolidge for two hours

02:35:26 - 02:35:31 | Speaker 4:

Huckering her lips and smirking at a camera and squinting. And I would be like, give her an Oscar.

02:35:32 - 02:35:45 | Speaker 5:

I finally started the second season last night. Because it's taken me this long to get to it. Because I had so many other things I wanted to watch. And Wes was watching with me. And he didn't watch the first season. He was like, what in the actual hell are we watching?

02:35:46 - 02:35:54 | Speaker 4:

She's so good. I know. And I'm in love with Theo James. And I love Aubrey Plaza. But season two is Jennifer Coolidge's season. Oh, my God. It's hers.

02:35:54 - 02:35:59 | Speaker 5:

So good. So good. All right, for all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on MojoInTheMorning.com.

02:36:00 - 02:36:05 | Speaker 7:

Let's go! Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. And another world-famous phone scam is next.

02:36:06 - 02:36:51 | Speaker 2:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning, the War of the Roses. Today, a husband, Jacob, finds out that his wife, who she has been going through some struggles, and he was sympathetic to that, but she's been going out late, and she's been kind of doing some things that he just wasn't happy with. Well, long story short, she ended up sending flowers to another guy and then wrote a very flirtatious message to him. We were just commenting on this with the War of the Roses, and there were a lot of us, you know, and talking to us with listeners, that were all kind of talking about the whole idea that she just gave birth to a baby and maybe she's going through some emotional times. Well, it did not sit well with our listeners. Adam, hi. How are you doing? Good. What's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

02:36:53 - 02:37:25 | Speaker 7:

Hello, hello. I'm 100% not trying to defend this woman or anything. And the callers were right. There's obviously more going on, backstory here. But there's also more going on, backstory pretty much at all times that this happens. And I just find it interesting that when there's a guy cheating, dog him out. He's the worst. How dare he? Blah, blah, blah. Now this young lady is cheating. And low-key, there's been support, and there's reason behind it. They need to figure it out and blah, blah. We probably should be fair. If we're going to dog people out, we're going to have to dog out both genders. We don't kind of get to pick and choose.

02:37:25 - 02:37:34 | Speaker 6:

So it's driving me nuts that people are texting that, though, too, because we are not always like that with guys.

02:37:35 - 02:37:38 | Speaker 7:

99.9% of the time. Nah, no.

02:37:39 - 02:37:40 | Speaker 2:

He may be right, Shannon.

02:37:41 - 02:37:45 | Speaker 6:

No, I feel like lately we have been a lot, a lot better about that.

02:37:45 - 02:37:50 | Speaker 2:

We've been softer. We've gotten softer in our old age. Lately being last week

02:37:50 - 02:37:50 | Speaker 7:

When did Lately

02:37:50 - 02:37:54 | Speaker 2:

I like him Adam I think

02:37:54 - 02:38:09 | Speaker 7:

I'm not defending her Please understand I'm not But our response to her As a whole Is a whole male female thing And it's like let's kick them both as hard as we can And dog them both out That's the point of the show I think

02:38:09 - 02:38:16 | Speaker 2:

Hold on a second I think Kristen Do you have a similar kind of comment about that?

02:38:17 - 02:38:48 | Speaker 3:

or kristin kristin is that your name kristin yeah um i just noticed and it's not necessarily you guys that do the dogging but i noticed that the callers when it's the guy that gets caught cheating the callers are like oh you know you deserve better than that get rid of him oh i went through this this is horrible but now it sounds like a lot of excuses are being made well wants to feel pretty. She just had a baby. Her focus...

02:38:48 - 02:38:49 | Speaker 2:

So you agree with Adam?

02:38:49 - 02:38:52 | Speaker 3:

I agree with Adam. Can I tell you

02:38:52 - 02:39:14 | Speaker 2:

where I think that the double standard is? I think it's the two-year-old. I think that if there was a guy cheating on a woman that just gave birth to a baby, they have a two-year-old, I would hope that they would go see counseling and not just throw the marriage apart. I think that might be the problem, but you're right, and Adam's right. We're soft. We need to dog Natasha in this case.

02:39:14 - 02:39:32 | Speaker 3:

Natasha did wrong, and there is no excuse for what she did. If she wants to feel pretty, maybe she should have just went to her husband and said, hey, listen, I'm feeling this kind of way. Instead of just, you know, sneaking around. And she definitely had the beer and headlights, 100%. Yeah.

02:39:33 - 02:39:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, right. No, you're right. Boy, you're a good imitation of her. Final call from Laura. What did you want to say, Laura? You had a statement to say?

02:39:40 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 1:

Good morning, guys. I've just been listening to these ladies call in, and, you know, a lot of women have babies, and they feel awkward about their bodies, and their identities change and all of that. You know, I've had babies. I get it, but that's no excuse. We don't cheat on our husbands, you know. Good point. Yeah. You know.

02:40:00 - 02:40:01 | Speaker 2:

You deal with it some other way. Yeah.

02:40:02 - 02:40:03 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you deal with it another way.

02:40:04 - 02:40:08 | Speaker 2:

That's all. You go to lover's lane. I don't know.

02:40:08 - 02:40:13 | Speaker 1:

I guess so. There's lots of other options. Or serialist. Who advertises?

02:40:13 - 02:40:13 | Speaker 3:

Which one?

02:40:14 - 02:40:17 | Speaker 1:

You know, I've been in that situation. It sucks, but, you know.

02:40:18 - 02:40:18 | Speaker 3:

Thanks, Laura.

02:40:18 - 02:40:20 | Speaker 1:

You just don't do that, so.

02:40:20 - 02:40:21 | Speaker 3:

Have a great day.

02:40:22 - 02:40:33 | Speaker 1:

Thanks, guys. Love you guys. Another phone scam in less than 15 minutes. This is Mojo in the Morning. Wake up with Mojo in the morning and laugh at the phone scams.

02:40:34 - 02:40:38 | Speaker 5:

This is Philip Rippinclipple. Ross, this is Horton Hersahu. My name's Vito Cappuccino.

02:40:38 - 02:40:43 | Speaker 1:

Five lies to tell your mom. Hey, Mom. Something happened yesterday that I need to tell you about.

02:40:44 - 02:40:50 | Speaker 5:

And senseless surveys. This is Mr. Dabalina Khan from the U.S. Senseless Bureau. This is Mojo in the morning.

02:40:51 - 02:41:16 | Speaker 2:

It is time now for a phone scam on the Mojo in the morning show. We found out that, what's his name? Is it Jarrell? Jarrell. that Jarrell accidentally passed gas while on a treadmill at a gym. It was so loud that the lady on the machine next to him quickly left. His buddy sent us all the information so that Spike could actually do a good situation about canceling his gym membership. It's a Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

02:41:16 - 02:41:26 | Speaker 1:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scams. Mojo in the Morning.

02:41:28 - 02:41:54 | Speaker 5:

My name is John Sawala from fitness looking for Jarrell, please. Jarrell. Jarrell. Yo, what's good? I'm good, man. How you doing? Well, I hate to make these kind of phone calls, but unfortunately we have to terminate your agreement and refund the remaining prorated membership to our gym. And I apologize, but I just wanted to call and let you know what's going to be popping up on your credit card.

02:41:56 - 02:41:56 | Unknown:

What?

02:41:57 - 02:42:05 | Speaker 5:

I know you've been a member with us for two years, and we do appreciate your business. Hopefully we can come to an agreement in part ways without making a bigger stink out of all this.

02:42:05 - 02:42:07 | Speaker 4:

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Why am I getting canceled?

02:42:08 - 02:42:10 | Speaker 5:

Well, a few of our members have complained about you.

02:42:11 - 02:42:12 | Speaker 4:

About what?

02:42:13 - 02:42:15 | Speaker 5:

About you. We're going to have to terminate your membership.

02:42:16 - 02:42:18 | Speaker 4:

But what is this in reference to? I'm not understanding.

02:42:18 - 02:42:23 | Speaker 5:

It's in reference to me telling you that we're terminating your membership. You can no longer come here for exercise.

02:42:23 - 02:42:35 | Speaker 4:

i'm not understanding why my membership is being terminated right now well it's about what you're doing on the treadmill what am i doing on a treadmill i have my earphones on the whole time

02:42:35 - 02:43:01 | Speaker 5:

well you have an issue in which apparently you pass gas on the treadmill and we have a problem and that's been confirmed by one of our team members are you serious have you ever passed gas on a treadmill in our club all the time but i also burped too okay well i'm glad you could admit it and we can have an adult conversation about this because it was loud and it was fervent and a woman told us it was you she said it was as if you were looking around proudly as if you

02:43:01 - 02:43:07 | Speaker 4:

were doing it on purpose no i was hoping it was that was quiet well you better take your earbuds

02:43:07 - 02:43:18 | Speaker 5:

out because it was not quiet and if it were one person we wouldn't worry about it i'd give you the benny of the d but we had complaints from nine people about you oh wow i'm sorry i didn't

02:43:18 - 02:43:23 | Speaker 4:

know that i was breaking a law by having flatulence i thought we were all adults here but i actually

02:43:23 - 02:43:58 | Speaker 5:

have a gas problem okay and it's a medical issue is it well then maybe you should see a doctor i have there's nothing i can do there's something you can do you can run outdoors why don't you do a little running outdoors where you can let her rip the intake form when you sign up on a membership there is a thing to put your medical conditions and there was nothing in there about any specific medical condition. So you can't claim that now that I'm trying to cancel your membership. Wow. Okay. Walking, running, jogging. These are all things we encourage you to do on our treadmills. You can't have this business. And I'm embarrassed that I even had to make

02:43:58 - 02:44:04 | Speaker 4:

this call. I fart everywhere. And I've never had an issue. Of course you never have an

02:44:04 - 02:44:10 | Speaker 5:

issue. Farts are like children. You don't mind your own, but you can't stand other people's. Did you do a little squirty in your pants?

02:44:12 - 02:44:15 | Speaker 4:

I must say this is the stupidest phone call ever.

02:44:15 - 02:44:37 | Speaker 5:

Hang on one second. The manager's coming. No, I'm talking to Jarrell the Farter. Treadmill. Go to the Farter.

02:44:38 - 02:44:45 | Speaker 4:

I love that you actually admitted right to it.

02:44:45 - 02:44:46 | Speaker 5:

Like, yep, I do it.

02:44:47 - 02:44:56 | Speaker 4:

Hey, integrity is key, man. I'm going to own up to it. I was headed to the gym right now, too.

02:44:57 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 5:

All right, this is a warning for everyone.

02:45:00 - 02:45:15 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. Put those fans on. All right, well, since you're putting people's business out there like that, Chris hasn't showered in a couple weeks. We will, we will scam you.

02:45:16 - 02:45:19 | Speaker 3:

Hello? You're home with the phone scams.

02:45:19 - 02:45:27 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, hi there, sir. This is Philip Rippin-Clipple. It's Nick Shoemate from the B***h Apartment Complex. Jeffrey Anthony from Greg Murray Appraising. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:45:30 - 02:46:34 | Speaker 3:

Throwback Throwdown is Tomorrow. Stick around for that. In a matter of moments, what's the obsession with alligators? Why are people in the Midwest wanting them so bad as pets? And are they legal to have? Coming up in a second, we'll find out. I wanted to just, don't call us, we'll call you. Text us, because we're going to get into another topic right now. Text us and tell us about your exotic pet or friend's exotic pet. The craziest pet that you or someone has. Text 95500 so we can talk to you on the radio. Coming up here in just a little bit. Don't believe it. That's high. Don't believe me, just watch. Oh, don't believe me, there's watch. Don't believe me, just watch.

02:46:35 - 02:46:36 | Speaker 1:

Don't believe me, just watch.

02:46:37 - 02:46:44 | Speaker 3:

Oh, oh, oh, oh. Wait. Wait a minute. Reese has got a topic for us.

02:46:45 - 02:46:47 | Speaker 1:

Let me guess. You got it pulled over in a back of it.

02:46:48 - 02:46:48 | Speaker 3:

No.

02:46:48 - 02:46:52 | Speaker 2:

No. I did get busted, though, but in a different way.

02:46:52 - 02:46:58 | Speaker 3:

Mojo on the morning show. So Reese got busted, or almost. Did you get busted, or did you almost get busted?

02:46:58 - 02:46:59 | Speaker 2:

We did get busted.

02:46:59 - 02:46:59 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:46:59 - 02:47:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. So I was at a friend's house not too long ago. Actually, it was this weekend. And we were all there. We were all there for a party. It was a great time. We were all drinking. This was actually the party where the dog ate the pizza. I don't know if you guys remember that. that kind of party um so my friend had all of these people over and whenever she's in town she basically stays with her parents uh just because you know free stay and whatever they're pretty cool anyways whenever she wants to have people over so we all get there we're all having a great time right when it hits midnight the parents come home and it just kind of sucked because we trashed the place i'm not even gonna sugarcoat it in the lightest like we i mean you heard about the dog the dog ate everything and like trashed the basement plus we had like food upstairs we got drinks everywhere but it was just a mess so you're still even at 25 you're in that

02:47:52 - 02:47:57 | Speaker 1:

space where you'll throw the parties when the parents are away kind of thing a little bit i

02:47:57 - 02:48:33 | Speaker 2:

think she told her parents that she was gonna have a couple people over i just don't think they knew the extent of how many people were actually gonna show i don't even think she knew like a lot of people just showed up but yeah to distract the parents i basically told them about the show and while everyone was trying to clean up and stuff i was like oh yeah the show is great they had a bunch of questions and don't bring us into your uh i did it worked i thank you guys were there illegal activities happening as well there was it definitely well i guess legal it smelled of skunk a little bit you know yeah you know what i mean was there any any those those are legal

02:48:33 - 02:48:46 | Speaker 3:

any illegal ones in there that we should not know about? No. Thank you. The last thing in the world that won is morning show member busted. You know?

02:48:46 - 02:48:48 | Speaker 1:

Karen drew on for another reason.

02:48:49 - 02:48:55 | Speaker 3:

Can you imagine seeing a picture of Reese getting handcuffed behind his back? You know, walking out of the suburban house.

02:48:55 - 02:48:57 | Speaker 1:

He would have a smile. He would have a smile on his face.

02:48:58 - 02:49:03 | Speaker 2:

I'd be teasing the entire time. I would love to get a mugshot too, honestly. Just one. Just like a good one.

02:49:03 - 02:49:19 | Speaker 3:

It's nice to know, though, that our show, being as family-friendly as it is, appeals to the parents of friends of yours that you can talk to them about it and tell them all of our fun little shenanigans and antics that we do.

02:49:19 - 02:49:30 | Speaker 2:

Oh, they were so interested. They love the show. Do they? Yeah, huge fans. Shout out to – what are their names? Shout out to – ooh, Riley's parents. Riley's parents.

02:49:30 - 02:49:40 | Speaker 3:

Shout out to Riley's parents. And thanks. Jill and I can't remember. Did you run out of things to talk about and that's how you got busted? How you guys ended up?

02:49:41 - 02:49:49 | Speaker 2:

Honestly, what messed up our entire conversation was the dog walking upstairs with marinara sauce all over it. That definitely kind of ruined things.

02:49:49 - 02:49:52 | Speaker 1:

That's a dead giveaway is a bunch of stoners partying and not paying attention.

02:49:52 - 02:49:53 | Speaker 2:

That was the moment.

02:49:54 - 02:49:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. That's funny.

02:49:55 - 02:49:56 | Speaker 1:

Yep.

02:49:56 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 3:

That is so funny. Okay. So why are we not invited to?

02:50:00 - 02:50:15 | Speaker 2:

these parties you guys are always invited if you send out invites to us we will show up i would love that we'll make we will make guest appearances at your friends uh your friends parties i don't gotta give you guys a talent fee or anything you guys no no he's not speaking for everyone yeah

02:50:15 - 02:50:19 | Speaker 3:

now that i'm a parent i'll be walking around like hey put that on a coaster what are you doing his

02:50:19 - 02:50:42 | Speaker 2:

parents gonna be really upset my favorite with reese's he's talked about two different you know little parties that they've had in the last week and all involve some sort of a food problem too yep because the first remember the pizza one where the dog ate the pizza the pizza the wings the salad the everything everything and then then this one was marinara sauce and what was

02:50:42 - 02:51:00 | Speaker 4:

what were you guys i mean it was the same party but oh it was yeah yep yep so when i was talking to the parents the dog came upstairs and it was kind of like uh awkward oh okay yeah that was a Wow, that was a couple weeks ago then. No, it was this weekend. No, because you talked about, when did you talk about the pizza? Maybe it was last weekend.

02:51:00 - 02:51:03 | Speaker 2:

No, because you talked about the pizza thing. I think it was last week on the show.

02:51:03 - 02:51:06 | Speaker 4:

Well, there's a lot going on at these parties. I can't remember too much. Oh, okay.

02:51:06 - 02:51:12 | Speaker 3:

I think the parents can always tell if somebody was smoking weed in the house, because you know your own home smell.

02:51:12 - 02:51:19 | Speaker 4:

They knew just by talking to me. I could tell just by the way I was slurring my words. I was like cracking jokes that were not funny at all.

02:51:20 - 02:51:23 | Speaker 1:

But also, Spike, you're right. everybody knows their house smell.

02:51:23 - 02:51:23 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:51:24 - 02:51:27 | Speaker 1:

And if it's off a little bit. Disagree, you're blind to your own house smell.

02:51:28 - 02:51:33 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, when you ever leave your house for like a week and then come home and you're like, is that what my house smells like? Is that what other people smell when they walk in?

02:51:34 - 02:51:36 | Speaker 1:

I guess I always have the same candle burning.

02:51:37 - 02:51:42 | Speaker 2:

You're blind to your house smell unless it's illegal drugs. The devil's lettuce.

02:51:43 - 02:51:43 | Speaker 1:

Something's different.

02:51:44 - 02:52:09 | Speaker 2:

All right, it is Mojo in the morning show. Phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I'd love to know, and this may not even be the topic that you were thinking about getting into, Reese, but I'd love to know how the Mojo in the Morning Show got you out of trouble. Has anybody else used the Mojo in the Morning Show to get them out of trouble? Maybe they've dropped our names when they're getting pulled over in a speeding ticket situation.

02:52:09 - 02:52:10 | Speaker 1:

Didn't work for me.

02:52:10 - 02:52:18 | Speaker 2:

Officer, it wasn't me speeding. I was just paying attention to whatever it was on Mojo in the Morning. I forgot yours. What was yours?

02:52:18 - 02:52:24 | Speaker 1:

It was a long time ago. Knock on wood, I haven't been pulled over. really neck on wood and he asked where i was going and i said to work and he said where do you work

02:52:24 - 02:53:36 | Speaker 2:

i told him he didn't care yeah certain communities don't like us i won't even drive through novi did you know that yeah i do know that i'm supposed to drive through novi to get to uh to work i actually do a big loop through farmington hills because i know that the novi cops don't necessarily listen to the show so let's just put it that way um hi morgan hi hi you stick around because i'm going to need you to participate in our next topic that we're going to do okay okay perfect all right hang on one second i thought for some reason she was calling up about reese's topic and i wanted to get it before i moved on to this next topic here uh to uh all of our friends in detroit or actually anywhere you can probably watch it and I'm sure they stream on clickondetroit.com there is a story that is going to be on Local 4 tonight by a good friend of ours Karen Drew she's doing a story about people with pet alligators and here I'll play you the promo because this is a really good promo She's back Karen Drew channel 4 asking questions

02:53:36 - 02:53:38 | Speaker 5:

Do you sell a lot of them?

02:53:39 - 02:53:49 | Speaker 2:

What's going on? This is kind of like a zoo area right here. This isn't a zoo. It may be legal for a pet store to sell alligators in your city, but if you take one home, could you get in trouble?

02:53:49 - 02:53:50 | Speaker 1:

You just told me to leave a known leave.

02:53:51 - 02:53:58 | Speaker 2:

The Investigation, Thursday at 545 on 4. Oh, wow. I expected a pun. You think? Yeah.

02:53:58 - 02:53:59 | Speaker 5:

I'm taking a bite out of crime.

02:53:59 - 02:54:03 | Speaker 2:

Karen, who writes the promos, and why do they not pun it at the end?

02:54:03 - 02:54:04 | Speaker 1:

No, I'm so happy you didn't.

02:54:05 - 02:54:06 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Karen.

02:54:07 - 02:54:12 | Speaker 5:

Hey, guys. So, you know, the first promo I did on those alligators, they did the whole making fun of Karen.

02:54:13 - 02:54:14 | Speaker 3:

Oh, right, right.

02:54:14 - 02:54:18 | Speaker 5:

She's Karen and she's asking for the manager. Oh, okay.

02:54:18 - 02:54:32 | Speaker 3:

I did see that one. But, yeah, Mike's right. There's usually, in this market, a lot of the writers or the promos will put a million puns in there. Like, she's going to sink her teeth into the alligator store. You know, like that kind of stuff.

02:54:32 - 02:54:33 | Speaker 5:

She's snapping at them. Right.

02:54:33 - 02:54:48 | Speaker 2:

So, Karen, I know we have to wait until 545 tonight to know exactly the story, but you and I have had discussions about this. What is the deal with people in Michigan that want to have pet alligators?

02:54:49 - 02:54:59 | Speaker 5:

Right? I have some friends in Florida, and they're like, I don't even understand. Why are people in Michigan buying gators? Because they come from Florida. They ship them in. I was really surprised.

02:55:00 - 02:55:21 | Speaker 4:

But apparently, it's a thing. They do it at expos where they sell them, and then they sell some at pet stores. Some cities, it's legal to do. Some cities, it's not. Some cities, you can sell them, but you can't own them. So, like, in Allen Park, where I go, it's like they can sell the gator, but, like, if the gator's bigger than six inches long, you walk out the door, and then you're illegal.

02:55:21 - 02:55:25 | Speaker 2:

Wait, why would they allow that? Spoiler alert, they're all going to get bigger than six inches.

02:55:25 - 02:55:32 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, like, just check back in about two weeks, you're breaking the law. Yeah. And then what's, did you know, okay, did you have any idea how old an alligator can get?

02:55:33 - 02:55:35 | Speaker 3:

No. How long does an alligator live?

02:55:35 - 02:55:37 | Speaker 4:

It could be like 70 years old.

02:55:37 - 02:55:38 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh.

02:55:38 - 02:55:40 | Speaker 4:

I'm not kidding you. I'm like 15 feet.

02:55:41 - 02:55:48 | Speaker 3:

Although I will say this, though, having lost a dog and it was traumatizing for me and the kids, I wish my animals would live forever.

02:55:49 - 02:55:51 | Speaker 1:

But you liked Lily because she was cuddly.

02:55:51 - 02:55:51 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:55:52 - 02:55:55 | Speaker 1:

You're not cuddling in the corner of your big couch with an alligator.

02:55:55 - 02:56:08 | Speaker 3:

Do you think that, Karen, people that have these pet alligators, do they have them because it's some kind of like a – I always think that it's a sexual fetish or I think it's some kind of illicit –

02:56:08 - 02:56:09 | Speaker 4:

That's a fetish of a gator?

02:56:09 - 02:56:18 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, well, I don't know. I always feel like people who have exotic animals are weird people that like to do sexual things or do high amounts of drugs.

02:56:18 - 02:56:20 | Speaker 4:

I don't even know the correlation, but it sounds interesting.

02:56:20 - 02:56:50 | Speaker 2:

It's just a lack of common sense. I love exotic animals. I love, I'll wrap a snake around me. I'll hold a gator. I love going out in nature and seeing them. But no, that's where it stops. I go to where you can see them, like a zoo or some other place where it's safe. I stop at the, I'm not going to bring it home. Because guess what? When the alligator's big, you got to feed it a damn rabbits and deer. And all of a sudden, people realize how much it costs to feed a gator. And next thing you know, they're letting them loose in our neighborhoods. What do you feed a gator?

02:56:50 - 02:57:32 | Speaker 4:

That's exactly what's happening. Well, you know what's crazy? after my promo started airing i had this viewer tip me off to her neighbor and i'm not going to say what community because i want to bust him but he doesn't want his gator to get too big so he's keeping him in like a glass aquarium and he's not feeding them oh that's awful like he's feeding him but not feeding him much and then they wind up in the sanctuary over in athens michigan and we go over there and these gators their spines are screwed up their mouths are screwed up there Because, like, they're stuck in these boxes, so their teeth are all jammed. And he has, like, 200 gators that people have either just dumped or they throw them in the waterways. Or in the past month, we have had two breaking news scanner alerts that gators were on the loose in Detroit.

02:57:32 - 02:58:10 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. That petrifies me. That sounds like a movie or something. Okay, so Karen Drew tonight is going to tell you on clickondetroit.com, Channel 4, watch it live. Local 4 streaming. local for we're everywhere yes but you can also follow karen karen what is your social media i'm karen drew tv karen drew you can i love following you follow her because you can also see her dancing and singing to rob base it takes two to make a thing go right which i loved were you guys smoking gator at that time or what was going on funny we weren't my brother that was

02:58:15 - 02:58:19 | Speaker 3:

play that song tomorrow on our throwbacks for you. I might

02:58:19 - 02:58:20 | Speaker 4:

have to do a little dance.

02:58:22 - 02:58:31 | Speaker 3:

Karen, I want you to know who does the best stories because she's not afraid to put the mic in people's face, but she's also kind of cute when she does it, too.

02:58:31 - 02:58:37 | Speaker 4:

I don't try to be a mean person. I'm just like, dude, you've got gators. That's crazy.

02:58:38 - 02:58:45 | Speaker 2:

I hope this person has the courage to let us get them on the air that just texted us and said, I have two alligators. They're great pets for my family.

02:58:45 - 02:58:46 | Speaker 3:

Who is this person?

02:58:46 - 02:58:49 | Speaker 2:

What are they doing with that? Like, I'd love to talk to you. I got him.

02:58:49 - 02:59:00 | Speaker 3:

Hold on. I got him right here, Karen. Hold on. Let's talk to Gator. What's their name? Hopefully it's, like, Gator Gary. No, it's Gator Lisa.

02:59:00 - 02:59:01 | Speaker 1:

Lisa, yeah.

02:59:01 - 02:59:19 | Speaker 3:

Put her on hold. A woman who is, I thought you guys were more sensible than us guys. Do you want to put her on hold so I can talk to her? Okay. Lisa? Lisa? Yeah. You're on. Oh, we've got to voice this guy. Hold on a second. So Karen's going to have to listen on hold there because that's the only way you can hear it.

02:59:19 - 02:59:20 | Speaker 2:

She doesn't want Karen showing up on her doorstep.

02:59:22 - 02:59:33 | Speaker 3:

Lisa is an alias, obviously, for you. But, Lisa, why do you have gators as pets? Oh, hold on. I've got to push the button. Hang on a second. There you go. Go ahead. Answer that question.

02:59:34 - 02:59:36 | Speaker 4:

I said they're interesting. They're different.

02:59:36 - 02:59:44 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but, you know, so is, you know, reading the Prince Harry book. That's interesting and different, but it's not going to bite you.

02:59:45 - 02:59:46 | Speaker 4:

They don't bite me.

02:59:47 - 02:59:49 | Speaker 2:

Really? How big are they right now?

02:59:50 - 02:59:54 | Speaker 4:

One is about four and a half feet, and the other one's about three and a half feet.

02:59:54 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 3:

What happens if they haven't bitten you yet? Those are big. Yeah, what happens when they grow and get bigger?

03:00:00 - 03:00:01 | Speaker 5:

Um, I'm actually going to kill him and eat him.

03:00:01 - 03:00:08 | Speaker 2:

You're going to kill him and eat him. Hold on a second. Real, real quick. Stay there for one second. Karen, any questions you'd like us to relay to her?

03:00:08 - 03:00:25 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I'm so upset right now. Like who would kill a pet and eat? I'm just dumbfounded. This is a perfect example and this is going on, but I would like to know like, okay, is she taking care of them? Like they need to be in certain water and like, or is she just keeping them in a box or a little aquarium?

03:00:25 - 03:00:28 | Speaker 1:

Lisa, the one is already the size, the length of a bathtub. Where do you keep it?

03:00:29 - 03:00:31 | Speaker 5:

They have their own room with a pond.

03:00:32 - 03:00:37 | Speaker 2:

They have their own room with a pond. What room would that be? Is that a bathroom, like with a...

03:00:37 - 03:00:38 | Speaker 5:

No, it's a bedroom.

03:00:38 - 03:00:42 | Speaker 2:

So you put them in a bedroom, and you made a pond in your bedroom.

03:00:43 - 03:00:43 | Unknown:

Yeah.

03:00:43 - 03:00:48 | Speaker 5:

I just went to, like, Home Depot and bought one of the ponds you'd put in your backyard or your front yard.

03:00:48 - 03:00:51 | Speaker 1:

And put it in your... And aren't they, like, pooping on the floor and stuff?

03:00:51 - 03:00:53 | Speaker 5:

No, they only go to the bathroom in the water.

03:00:53 - 03:00:57 | Speaker 2:

Really? Okay. Karen, any more questions you'd like me to ask?

03:00:57 - 03:01:02 | Speaker 3:

I'm so dumbfounded. I mean, I guess she's pretty much explained exactly the issue.

03:01:03 - 03:01:11 | Speaker 1:

I don't even know why I'm going for it. Yeah. She says they're great pets for her family, but they're stuck behind a door, and then we're going to eat them when they get too big.

03:01:11 - 03:01:11 | Speaker 3:

No, they roam through the house.

03:01:11 - 03:01:14 | Speaker 1:

They roam through the house. Do you have children?

03:01:14 - 03:01:20 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I have eight. Is this an ethical thing where you stick your gator in a bedroom in a pond?

03:01:20 - 03:01:23 | Speaker 2:

Karen, she has eight kids. How old are your kids? What are they age? She had nine.

03:01:24 - 03:01:30 | Speaker 4:

They range from 6 to 31. Has there ever been an incident with a gator?

03:01:31 - 03:01:32 | Speaker 1:

Do you tape their mouth shut?

03:01:33 - 03:01:33 | Speaker 4:

No, I do not.

03:01:33 - 03:01:41 | Speaker 2:

The children's, not the gators. Yes, I do. So your 6-year-old, you're okay with your 6-year-old playing with the gators?

03:01:42 - 03:01:42 | Unknown:

Mm-hmm.

03:01:43 - 03:01:44 | Speaker 5:

They take them up.

03:01:44 - 03:01:46 | Speaker 4:

They shower with them.

03:01:46 - 03:01:48 | Speaker 2:

Wow, they shower with them, Karen.

03:01:48 - 03:02:00 | Speaker 4:

You know, I've never thought to ask the parents of a proposed play date for Lucy or Smith. if they have gators in the house. I ask about pools, guns, but I've never said, do you have a gator?

03:02:00 - 03:02:02 | Speaker 2:

What town do you live in? Hold on, let me...

03:02:02 - 03:02:03 | Speaker 4:

Real quick.

03:02:03 - 03:02:04 | Speaker 3:

I live in Brownstown.

03:02:04 - 03:02:08 | Speaker 2:

She lives in Brownstown, Karen. Do we know the laws in Brownstown?

03:02:08 - 03:02:11 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to look them up. I'm going to look them up. 4-5-45, I'll tell you that.

03:02:11 - 03:02:28 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Lisa, one very, very important question on the whole gator thing and having the kids and everything there. Do your gators ever go outside to meet the neighbors or do they just stay in that little swamp room that you have? Because I'd be scared if you lived in my neighborhood.

03:02:28 - 03:02:33 | Speaker 5:

I would take them outside. My kids take them outside. We let them roam in the grass in the summertime.

03:02:34 - 03:02:36 | Speaker 2:

Have you ever lost a gator?

03:02:36 - 03:02:37 | Speaker 5:

No.

03:02:37 - 03:02:38 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

03:02:38 - 03:02:48 | Speaker 1:

But you realize if there ever is an accident, and the odds with six kids and roaming the house free, eventually they'll get big enough there will be an accident, your children will be taken away from you.

03:02:49 - 03:02:55 | Speaker 5:

I don't have accidents with them because my kids have, like I said, grown up with them. Yeah. So they know how to handle them.

03:02:56 - 03:03:01 | Speaker 1:

But they're wild animals. They're not domesticated. At some point, an alligator accident could happen.

03:03:02 - 03:03:21 | Speaker 5:

No, and I get you on that, and I completely understand you on that. But my kids know when to interact with them, when not to interact with them. And 99% of the time, my kids just leave them alone and let them do their thing. The only time they really interact with them is when it's time to change the pond water or when it's time to feed them or when it's actually time to eat their tails.

03:03:21 - 03:03:23 | Speaker 2:

Eat their tails. I'm sorry.

03:03:23 - 03:03:26 | Speaker 5:

Have you ever had gator tails? It's actually very delicious.

03:03:26 - 03:03:27 | Speaker 2:

What do you do? Do you dip them in ranch?

03:03:29 - 03:03:30 | Speaker 5:

No.

03:03:30 - 03:03:35 | Speaker 1:

I had gator tail, but I didn't raise it myself. I went to a place that served gators.

03:03:35 - 03:03:39 | Speaker 5:

It's like a farm. Like when you grow up on a farm, you have a pig or a cow and you raise it.

03:03:39 - 03:03:42 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that cow ain't biting a chunk out of my ass, though.

03:03:43 - 03:03:55 | Speaker 2:

You guys sound like a bunch of interrogators right now. Oh, wow. Karen, save that one for tonight. Well, she's the investigator. Investigator. There you go.

03:03:56 - 03:03:58 | Speaker 3:

I did that one in my first promo. I was an investigator.

03:03:59 - 03:03:59 | Unknown:

There you go.

03:04:00 - 03:04:02 | Speaker 3:

I did that one. Sorry, I used it. It's all right.

03:04:02 - 03:04:31 | Speaker 2:

I can't believe how many people we have on the phone lines here. And, Karen, you're on the right path with this thing. You guys have been doing this gator story for some time now. Yeah. A lot of listeners that have gators. Chaz, you have a gator, and you say that your child feeds the gator. How old is your child? He's six. You dumb son of a bee. What are you doing letting your six-year-old feed the gator? Hey, you can't be scared of him. That's how accidents happen. Oh, my gosh.

03:04:31 - 03:04:35 | Speaker 1:

No, your accidents happen when you get comfortable enough with them to think that accidents can't happen.

03:04:36 - 03:04:59 | Speaker 2:

Here, call Karen. Karen, did I hang up on you, Karen? Yeah, you did. I did. I'm sorry about that. Chaz lets his six-year-old feed the gators. They play, you know, choo-choo, you know, and feed each other. But hold on. And then we got another Karen on the phone. Karen, Drew, quick question. When the name Karen became one of somebody that.

03:05:00 - 03:05:08 | Speaker 1:

Yells and screams at you And says bad things Did you ever think about changing your name Just to like Sandy Drew

03:05:08 - 03:05:16 | Speaker 4:

It's just the worst name ever And then they described it as a middle aged woman Mess with a manager with short blonde hair And that's literally who I am

03:05:16 - 03:05:21 | Speaker 1:

Listener Karen Your boyfriend is looking to buy a gator

03:05:21 - 03:05:26 | Speaker 5:

Yeah He actually would rather prefer a gator Over a dog at this point

03:05:26 - 03:05:27 | Speaker 2:

Why?

03:05:27 - 03:05:38 | Speaker 5:

uh he just as he was growing up as a kid gators were always his favorite animal and now he's dead set to one point own a house and have a basement that completely turned into a gator

03:05:38 - 03:05:43 | Speaker 2:

playroom for him i mean it's not fair to the gators why not just go to a sanctuary where

03:05:43 - 03:05:53 | Speaker 5:

they have all the land and all the needs taken care of that's what i keep telling him that it's not gonna be fair to keep them all cooped up inside and everything yeah move to florida they'll

03:05:53 - 03:05:58 | Speaker 2:

be in your backyard every week oh he would he would do that in a heartbeat wow all right well

to have you on oh i mean who would really think that you do a gator story and you get that many calls in that many minutes.

03:06:20 - 03:06:22 | Speaker 2:

The texts are coming in a mile a minute.

03:06:22 - 03:06:29 | Speaker 1:

It's amazing. Any good gossip you got for us over at Local 4? I always ask Jay Towers the Fox 2 gossip.

03:06:30 - 03:06:48 | Speaker 4:

Well, I mean, if it's gossip, I can't really tell you yet. It looks like official. There's lots of things, lots of changes. We've got Ashley Beracy. She used to be... Oh, yeah. She went to Ohio. She's coming back Monday. She's going to be on the morning show doing weather, so that'll be pretty exciting.

03:06:48 - 03:07:00 | Speaker 1:

Great. I've been really good this whole time and I'm not going to ask you about Jason Carr, but I, but I will, I will ask you, have you filled that position and do you need somebody? Cause I, I need an extra job. I'm very bored.

03:07:00 - 03:07:09 | Speaker 4:

You know, you don't do enough, right? Yeah. I, you know, I don't think they've filled it. Like, I don't think so. So if you want, I can, I know some people. I'll see if I can do an intro for you, Mojo.

03:07:09 - 03:07:18 | Speaker 1:

I'd be horrible for that because I'd be just like him. I'd be talking about everybody in the office. So I'll behave myself and won't say anything else. All right.

03:07:19 - 03:07:21 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I got to, like, just not say anything else.

03:07:22 - 03:07:31 | Speaker 1:

By the way, Karen Drew is the only person I know that's like me that could put a microphone in somebody's face and make them stutter a little bit. I just did it to you. Yeah, you did.

03:07:31 - 03:07:33 | Speaker 4:

I love you. I'm very impressed.

03:07:33 - 03:07:36 | Speaker 1:

I love you. You have beautiful family, too. Talk to you later, okay?

03:07:36 - 03:07:38 | Speaker 4:

Thank you. Love you guys. Have a good one. Bye, Karen.

03:07:38 - 03:08:47 | Speaker 1:

Karen Drew, Local 4. All right. I don't have time for – well, I do. Like, one – I want to hear this story. I wanted to hear this story because I saw it and I thought to myself, I'm like, oh, my God. This is like – to me, anytime that you can, like, bring something up that can make you feel old, that's me. I like it. now very outdated, 11% of people have never bought a newspaper. 10% of people have never used a wall calendar. And do you want to know, these are the study that they just did. You want to know other things that people have never done so it can make you feel old. It's 2023, which means that if you're somebody that is like in your 30s or 40s, you probably have done things that a lot of people, majority of people have never done. Like for instance, 6% of people have never listened to music on a cassette. Surprisingly enough, 5% have never listened to music on a CD.

03:08:48 - 03:08:49 | Unknown:

Oh, wow.

03:08:49 - 03:08:51 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Do you guys still use CDs? I don't use CDs. No.

03:08:52 - 03:09:19 | Speaker 2:

So I still have them. I think I've saved them more because I like the artwork that you don't get anymore with digital. But my kids are now buying CDs and cassettes. And they're, like, making a comeback now. And they're actually on the increase in sales over the past two years, much like vinyl has surged. And vinyl started out, you know, it outsells everything else. But they're now, the kids want, I'm like, where are you going to play this? And my daughter said she has an old CD player.

03:09:19 - 03:09:21 | Speaker 1:

You should have saved everyone. We should have saved all the ones that we had. I know.

03:09:21 - 03:09:30 | Speaker 3:

Well, my car should all play CDs. And it's a 2018 But at least vinyl sounds good CDs and cassettes don't sound better than digital

03:09:30 - 03:09:31 | Speaker 1:

CDs weren't bad

03:09:31 - 03:09:36 | Speaker 3:

They don't sound better than what you're streaming on your phone Yeah, CDs sound the same

03:09:36 - 03:09:49 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's not true The streaming they do They call Lossing or whatever it's called Where they actually decrease the output So it doesn't sound as good at big systems But not to the average person They can't tell the difference

03:09:49 - 03:09:51 | Speaker 3:

I'm also 30 and I've never bought a newspaper

03:09:52 - 03:10:00 | Speaker 1:

Okay, I got... You know what? Honestly, I used to love newspapers. Remember we used to cut them up in the studio and stuff? And I...

03:10:00 - 03:11:23 | Speaker 3:

had an old newspaper that somebody bought me as a gift this past year for my you know the hall of fame thing yeah and it was the birthday what what was the big news on my birthday you ever see those things oh yeah yeah my son looked and said what's that he didn't know what it was i know i thought that number would be way higher people um nine percent of people have never sent a postcard um seven percent of people have never used a printer to print something out ten percent of people have never had a wall calendar to track a birthday or an event uh here's some other ones 12 have never used a fountain pen to write what uh this one's wild 14 have never used a public pay phone to make a phone call i i see that it's funny i don't even know if they have them anymore it's hard to find there's one at the coney i always go to 16 have never used a floppy disk on a computer those were the worst 18 of people have never used a physical roadmap yeah why would you um oh some other ones that are kind of uh kind of big ones in here um 36 of people have never sent a fax do people still ask for fax i see see i'm you know the the what do they call the thing that's your signature like we're underneath your signature of your uh email It will show people that still have fax machine numbers.

03:11:24 - 03:11:31 | Speaker 4:

I was going to say, they still put them on business cards, but then 40% of people have never seen a business card. You know, it's like, who uses them anymore?

03:11:31 - 03:13:22 | Speaker 3:

Here's a wild one. 73% of people haven't had an account on MySpace. Because it's funny, because we always joke about what our MySpace accounts were. And this is actually good news. 42% of people have never smoked a cigarette. So those are all things that are, and this, by the way, comes from yougov.com. Another thing that's a way of the past, breast implants, breast augmentation. Breast augmentation are no longer the most popular cosmetic surgery. It has now been surpassed by liposuction, according to the International Society of Plastic Surgeons. and they found that eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, and tummy tucks are more and more popular, even more popular than people getting breast augmentation. People are getting their breast implants out. Yeah, actually because of breast implant illness. And 73% of kids say that they have seen online pornography by the age of 17. I thought that would be a much higher number, to be honest with you. So 17, or listen to this, 15% have seen online pornography by the age of 10. And this is a scary one if you have very young kids. 9% of kids who are under the age of 7 have seen online pornography. A lot of times parents say that they have seen it because somebody left it up on their computer. And many times it was that They tried to type in a website And they went to a wrong website So there's the problem I by the way I'm part of the 90% of people that have never Seen pornography I don't partake in that

03:13:22 - 03:13:23 | Speaker 5:

That's a crock

03:13:23 - 03:13:30 | Speaker 3:

Mike were you honestly Just sitting there writing a whole bunch of puns While we were taking those phone calls

03:13:30 - 03:13:35 | Speaker 5:

Yeah I was going to delegate I'm actually impressed

03:13:35 - 03:13:37 | Speaker 3:

That was pretty good

03:13:37 - 03:13:41 | Speaker 5:

Alright, joke time is over Time has begun
