Good morning. Welcome to the Mojo of the Morning Show. It is almost the weekend. So nice, isn't it? Friday. How do you feel on a speed scale, guys? Was this a fast week, medium speed week, or slow week for you?

00:03:06 - 00:03:07 | Speaker 2:

I think it was a medium week.

00:03:07 - 00:03:14 | Speaker 4:

Really? Okay. Megan, Mike? Slow, slow, slow. Slow for you. Wow. What about you, Megan?

00:03:14 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 3:

I want to sound like slow, slow, slow, slow.

00:03:17 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 4:

Wow. What did I do this week? I thought this week was fast. What's going on? Why are we so different? Everybody slept this week, too. That might be the reason why. Everybody on the show had long amounts of sleep. Because, Megan, didn't you do that last night?

00:03:34 - 00:03:39 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. Accidentally took a, what, $4.5, $5. Oh, my God, I'm so jealous.

00:03:39 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 4:

No, no, no.

00:03:40 - 00:03:43 | Speaker 5:

It was not a good thing. Ask me how late I stayed up last night.

00:03:44 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 4:

Man, you know, it's like the worst feeling in the world, too, that when you wake up from that thing, to think that you don't even feel rested, and then you have to try to figure out a way to try to make yourself tired to go to bed. By the way, today is a special day. You know what today is? What? Today is my heart-iversary.

00:05:23 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 3:

Hey!

00:05:24 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 2:

Two years ago today I, like the tin man, Got a new heart Was it the Tin Man or was it the Scarecrow? It was the Tin Man

00:05:33 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 3:

The Scarecrow got a brain Like the Grinch kind of

00:05:37 - 00:06:06 | Speaker 2:

I need a brain too I'll be going into one of those Yes like the Grinch too I did I got a heart like the Grinch But yeah two years ago Today I was actually at this moment I was in an operating room Because I was on the table for nine hours Nine hours I don't know if I was in surgery at this moment. I think that I was, if I'm not mistaken, I think they were shaving my genitals at this time.

00:06:06 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 3:

Why did they have to do that for heart surgery? No, seriously, why?

00:06:11 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 2:

I think because of some of their equipment, or maybe they just do it just to make fun of me or something. I don't know. Do you remember the last thought you had before you went under? Yes, Coldplay. Can I tell you why? Why? Because they wheeled me into the operating room And something just like this from Coldplay Was playing very loud in the room They had music on And I started having a conversation with them And I said to them, I go Are you listening to WNIC? Because if you are, this would be like the worst joke ever That somebody could play on me That the last thing that I ever hear if I die Was WNIC

00:06:50 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 3:

Was Jay Jay Towers

00:06:51 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 2:

So that was it, Mike And we got into a conversation about music And then they talked about how Dr. Patel Who is my surgeon Doesn't listen to music when he does it He wants everybody focused Really focused on what's going on So they have communication with each other And they talk That I thought was interesting too Because I'm like a music guy I would love to have music playing And I would also like Have you ever seen the thing where They show the heartbeat dancing to songs Like it's like moving There's a thing I saw it on TikTok Maybe I just get these things Because I had a hard thing They know my My stuff But it was dancing To Staying Alive That song Da da da da Da da da da And you see the art Like going to it So

00:07:37 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 3:

Do you do anything To celebrate Because essentially Today is like a second birthday For you You got a newly sent life You really did

00:07:44 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 2:

I'm gonna have pizza tonight I'm gonna For real No no

00:07:48 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 3:

You're just gonna oh

00:07:48 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 2:

No Honestly Chelsea this morning Woke up with me and gave me a huge kiss and a hug and told me how much she loved me. And that was like the best because I didn't wake her up. She actually woke up specifically just to tell me that. And I'm going to be more grateful today. I will say that. I feel like I have become more grateful. There are times, obviously, where you get frustrated with certain things. But there is the whole, I can't believe this. I thank God, not that I had the surgery, but that I knew I had to have the surgery because it was an aneurysm that some people don't get the chance and they end up dying. And that's why I say go get checked out and talk to your doctors because the heart aneurysm affects more men and women that are under the age of 45 years old than it does affect those that are even over the age. So you get diagnosed at so much an earlier age. But cool, that's it. I was driving to work today, and as I was driving to work, it's the same weather that we had that day, and I looked at the temperature on my car, and I realized that the temperature on my car was the same temperature of that time.

00:09:04 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 1:

Wow.

00:09:05 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 2:

Because for some reason, I was really cold as we were driving to the hospital, Chelsea and I were, and as we were driving, I go, look at the temperature, and I look at the temperature, and it's the same spot that I looked at the temperature on my way to work because I drive the same route. yeah but it was uh it was you know uh one of those things that i will never forget in my family i'm sure we'll never forget but um i'm doing good so thank god i love calling it a heart aversary too heart aversary it's a great name it's the i heart aversary and we're going to do

00:09:37 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 3:

a festival in honor oh in honor of the cold play with cold play that would be very that could

00:09:45 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

happen can i yeah exactly festival but can i um i just throw this out there can i just say to people that sometimes we don't celebrate enough of the happy things that go on in our lives we only remember the sad and crappy things

00:10:00 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 3:

So, in honor of this, KP bought me a ton of, like, streamers and birthday cake and things to put in the studio here that we would have used for Mike's birthday that is coming up here in a few weeks. Just leave it alone. Just drop it. I don't want to talk about it. Would you be upset that my heart got a better birthday? Six years.

00:10:22 - 00:10:25 | Speaker 4:

Your heart gets cupcakes today. Mike gets nothing.

00:10:25 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 3:

um so we got a good show for you today i promise you that and uh it's kind of uh kind of cool to be able to be on on friday the 13th yeah does it do any of you guys have like weird freak out moments about the fact that it is friday the 13th no but it makes me want to get

00:10:44 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 4:

a tattoo really why do it because uh it's a tradition in tattoo shops for friday the 13th They do flash tattoos. Yeah. Oh. Yeah.

00:10:54 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 3:

Is it a good thing to get it done? Because I thought Friday the 13th was like they considered a scary thing where bad things happen to you. So is it a good idea to get a tattoo on a day like that?

00:11:04 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 4:

I think it's supposed to be a good thing. I don't know. I've just been wanting a new tattoo for a while. So kind of any. Any excuse. Yeah, yeah.

00:11:10 - 00:11:11 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:11:11 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 3:

What are you thinking? Any ideas?

00:11:14 - 00:11:35 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I know what I'm going to do, but I don't want to tell you because you'll make fun of me. Wait, no, I want to know. I want to finish my arm that I started Which is beautiful Thank you I'm going to do all my favorite book references On that arm I started with books and music So I'm going to do that And I know what I want to do I know what stories I like

00:11:35 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 3:

Now that you're reading that Harry

00:11:39 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 4:

The Prince Harry book Oh for sure We're going to get a little crown Of course not Well he talks about his frostbitten junk a lot Maybe I'll get it. Oh, I heard about it. We've got to hear that. Oh, wait, I'm playing. I'm playing. I have a surprise for you in this dirty show. That's good.

00:11:54 - 00:11:57 | Speaker 3:

The book on tape. What's going on, Courtney? How are you doing?

00:11:59 - 00:12:00 | Speaker 2:

Hi, good. How are you?

00:12:01 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 3:

Fantastic. What's going on? What are you doing this morning?

00:12:04 - 00:12:46 | Speaker 2:

I actually just got back from the gym. I just pulled into my driveway, but I just wanted to call in and say how grateful I am that you're still here with us, Mojo, because I've been listening for probably 15 years. I started listening to you guys when I was in middle school. I don't want to age myself too much, but I've been listening for a really long time, and I have been through a lot, and I feel like you guys have all helped me, like, grow up and have grown up with me, and I just feel like a big family. So I'm really grateful that you're here because I don't think I would have gotten through a lot of the things, especially this last year, without being able to listen to you. Wow. We love you. Thank you.

00:12:46 - 00:12:52 | Speaker 3:

We love you, and we appreciate that, and thank you for those words. Did we teach you anything bad when you were in middle school? Did you learn anything?

00:12:53 - 00:13:03 | Speaker 2:

I'm not going to lie. My mom was probably not that happy that I was listening to you guys, but I would turn you guys on after she left for work.

00:13:03 - 00:13:07 | Speaker 3:

Oh, good. Okay. Well, hopefully, is she a listener now, or is she still not happy with us?

00:13:08 - 00:13:22 | Speaker 2:

So my mom actually just passed away very suddenly. Oh, goodness. Um, uh, but, uh, but she, she did, she did, uh, really, I lit, I would make her listen to you guys in the car with me. Like every time we're in the car.

00:13:22 - 00:13:26 | Speaker 3:

Would you make mom blush in the morning? Uh, yes.

00:13:26 - 00:13:30 | Speaker 2:

She was like, I can't believe you listened to this. Well, we can't believe we talk about it.

00:13:31 - 00:13:36 | Speaker 3:

So mom, we're saying, we're saying hi to mom in heaven right now. And we appreciate you so much, Courtney.

00:13:38 - 00:13:39 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. Love you guys.

00:13:39 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 3:

Love you too. Take care. Have a great day. This mojo in the mornings back in the day.

00:13:59 - 00:14:07 | Speaker 1:

I feel like I joke around a lot and I never take anything seriously at these kind of things. But I genuinely want to say I'm so grateful.

00:14:07 - 00:14:34 | Speaker 3:

We remember when Shakira and J-Lo performed at the Super Bowl during halftime. And big song on the radio was from the weekend. What year was it? Well, set you up with a prize. Wasn't too long ago. Good luck. You're smart. Prove it. You remember the year the stuff happened. 844-MOJO-LIVE.

00:15:42 - 00:15:43 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:16:29 - 00:16:38 | Speaker 5:

Spike's taking the morning off, and we've got Megan, Mike, Reese, KP, Lydia, Katie, and Shannon here. Shannon with the Dirty on the 30.

00:16:39 - 00:17:44 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it was breaking dirty everywhere yesterday afternoon. Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, has died, and she was just 54 years old. I mean, what a shock that one was. Yesterday morning, she was rushed to the hospital for cardiac arrest. Paramedics responded to a home in Calabasas to treat a woman in her 50s who was not breathing. Of course, it was Lisa Marie. And when they arrived, they began CPR. They transferred her to a local hospital for immediate medical care where she repeatedly coded after that. She did have signs of life before being taken to the hospital. But in a statement, her mom Priscilla said, It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter, Lisa Marie, has left us. She was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known. The New York Post is reporting this morning that there appeared to be no drugs on the scene of her medical emergency. So we'll have to wait, you know, a couple of weeks until an official cause of death can be determined. But looking back on a moment where her dad was talking about her.

00:17:45 - 00:17:57 | Speaker 3:

That's what my little daughter says. My little daughter goes around and says, Hey, Elvis, what you gonna do? I swear to God, you know, six years old. Hey, Elvis? I said, honey, I'm your daddy. Don't call me. Okay, Elvis. Wouldn't call him dad.

00:17:57 - 00:18:03 | Speaker 4:

Would only call him Elvis. And she said she always knew and thought that she took after her dad.

00:18:04 - 00:18:25 | Speaker 1:

I think probably more my father. I lean more towards that side of my family a little bit. Although I have my mom's strength, I think. His personality and sort of his intensity. levels, sometimes I can emulate pretty well. Not intentionally, but just kind of in some obviously mannerisms, which I don't even sometimes know that I have.

00:18:26 - 00:19:18 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I've got more on this in next hour, Sturdy. Prince Harry's memoir, Spare, sold 1.4 million copies in the U.S., U.K., and Canada on its first day of release. 1.4 million. That's all formats and editions, including e-books and print. According to its publisher, Penguin Random House. The book has just smashed all records for any first day nonfiction book sale it's ever put out. It has even overtaken Barack Obama's presidential memoir, A Promised Land, which previously held that record. And I said I had a surprise for you. I want to play something for you because I know you said you want to listen to the book on tape, right? Yes. But you were concerned about how and wondering how Prince Harry sounds reading it. Yeah. So this is an excerpt from chapter 43 of Prince Harry detailing the moment he thought about his late mother, Princess Diana, while applying cream to his penis.

00:19:18 - 00:19:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh, hey. My penis was oscillating between extremely sensitive and borderline traumatized. The last place I wanted to be was Frostnipistan. I'd been trying some home remedies, including one recommended by a friend. She'd urged me to apply Elizabeth Arden cream. My mom used that on her lips. You want me to put that on my todger? It works, Harry. Trust me. I found a tube, and the minute I opened it, the smell transported me through time. I felt as if my mother was right there in the room. Then I took a smidge and applied it down there.

00:19:52 - 00:19:53 | Speaker 4:

Wow. I think he sounds like writing it, by the way.

00:19:54 - 00:19:57 | Speaker 5:

Wait, what does he call it? A todger? Todger. Todger?

00:19:58 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 4:

Wow. There you go.

00:20:00 - 00:20:02 | Speaker 2:

I think that's like the British way of saying junk. Yeah.

00:20:02 - 00:20:04 | Speaker 1:

You're junk? I like todger.

00:20:05 - 00:20:06 | Speaker 2:

You have to say it with the accent.

00:20:07 - 00:20:08 | Speaker 1:

You're todger.

00:20:08 - 00:20:35 | Speaker 2:

You're todger. Young Thug is going on trial in Atlanta right now. He's being accused of helping a violent street gang with various activities. Well, a story coming out of this that actually has nothing to do with the rapper. As jury selection for the trial continues, Yesterday, the judge in the case punished a woman for taking a little vacation to the Dominican Republic instead of showing up for jury selection and listen to what this girl's punishment entails.

00:20:36 - 00:20:38 | Speaker 5:

Madam, did you attend college?

00:20:39 - 00:20:39 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

00:20:39 - 00:21:04 | Speaker 5:

You have a four-year degree? Yes. What I think I'm going to do is in order for you to satisfy your contempt, I'm going to commute the 20 days and require you to write a 30-page paper on the importance of jury service. You'll have to do APA style. You're going to have to use at least 10 primary sources, 10 secondary sources. I am going to give you a date three weeks hence that that paper needs to be submitted to me electronically.

00:21:04 - 00:21:06 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Just let me pay the fine.

00:21:06 - 00:21:07 | Speaker 5:

Wow. A 30-page paper.

00:21:08 - 00:21:10 | Speaker 2:

You know what the other fine was? What? The 30 days in jail.

00:21:11 - 00:21:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I don't know.

00:21:13 - 00:21:14 | Speaker 2:

It wasn't like a payment fine.

00:21:14 - 00:21:18 | Speaker 1:

Can I tell you, I'd take the 30 days in jail. I know.

00:21:18 - 00:21:22 | Speaker 2:

I hate school so much. A 30-page paper with all those sources?

00:21:22 - 00:21:29 | Speaker 1:

That gives me more anxiety than sitting in jail next to a guy named Bubba. You know what I mean? I think it's more about keeping your job. I don't know.

00:21:31 - 00:21:39 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, White Castle is doing it again. They're bringing back their Valentine's Day dinner experience this year after taking a two-year break.

00:21:39 - 00:21:40 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's cool.

00:21:40 - 00:22:13 | Speaker 2:

So this is not every location. Only certain locations are participating. But those locations will transform their dining rooms into fine dining establishments, It's complete with hostess seating, table side service, and all of the appropriate decorations for Valentine's Day. It's happening 4 to 9 p.m. on February 14th. There will be several special menu items like the Sprite Love Castle potion, cheesecake on a stick, and the Love Cube meal for two that includes eight cheese sliders, two shareable sides, and two soft drinks. Reservations are required, so plan ahead, boys.

00:22:13 - 00:22:18 | Speaker 1:

They also just announced yesterday that their kitchen is going to have robots flipping the burgers.

00:22:19 - 00:22:19 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really?

00:22:19 - 00:22:34 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, they're having problems getting people in there. So they just did the whole let's put robotic people in. Honestly, I would want that because you smell like those burgers forever. I mean, I'd rather not have to work inside the kitchen of that.

Well, it's about what you're doing on the treadmill.

00:24:40 - 00:24:43 | Speaker 3:

What am I doing on a treadmill? I have my earphones on the whole time.

00:24:43 - 00:25:00 | Speaker 4:

Well, you have an issue in which apparently you pass gas on the treadmill, and we have a problem, and that's been confirmed by one of our team members. Are you serious? Have you ever passed gas on a treadmill in our club? All the time, but I also burped, too. Okay, well, I'm glad you...

00:25:00 - 00:25:08 | Speaker 2:

I'm sorry. I didn't know that I was breaking a law by having flatulence. I thought we were all adults here, but I actually have a gas problem, and it's a medical issue.

00:25:33 - 00:25:35 | Speaker 2:

Is it? Well, then maybe you should see a doctor.

00:25:37 - 00:25:38 | Speaker 3:

I have. There's nothing I can do.

00:25:39 - 00:25:56 | Speaker 2:

There's something you can do. You can run outdoors. Why don't you do a little running outdoors where you can let her rip? The intake form, when you sign up on a membership, there is a thing to put your medical conditions, and there was nothing in there about any specific medical conditions. So you can't claim that now that I'm trying to cancel your membership.

00:25:58 - 00:25:59 | Unknown:

Wow. Okay.

00:25:59 - 00:26:08 | Speaker 2:

00:26:54 - 00:27:03 | Speaker 3:

All right, this is a warning for everyone.

00:27:07 - 00:27:24 | Speaker 3:

Which fast food chain is turning the restaurants into a fine dining establishment on Valentine's Day, complete with cheesecake on a stick and dinner reservations? White Castle. Yep. Two to two. Choosing a new Central site, if Buffalo and Kansas City should have to play each other, what city will they play in? Atlanta. Wow. Three to two. Question number four. 00:31:52 - 00:31:54 | Speaker 2:

This is your home of that. We were laughing with Megan just a second ago as she was telling us a story off the air that I'm going to have her tell on the air about her brother and his new fashion gear. No, his new obsession that he's doing that Megan thinks is extremely dangerous.

00:33:41 - 00:34:17 | Speaker 2:

So my brother is in a weight loss challenge. And if you know my brother, it's a little shocking that he's in a weight loss challenge, okay? Because he's a very fit man. And this is all part of New Year. I asked him why he was doing this, and he said, you know, there's like a lot of money on the line. And I only thought this was like maybe five, six people participating in this challenge. Apparently, there's like 30 or 40 people in it. And the grand prize is like close to $3,000. Oh, my God. Did you say it's through his work or dim? Did I miss that? Just friends. Oh, friends. Okay. Yeah.

00:34:17 - 00:34:27 | Speaker 1:

How come when we did our weight loss challenge, what was ours? 20 bucks that you had to throw in like each time you screwed up something or something like that?

00:34:27 - 00:34:35 | Speaker 2:

So their buy-in was high. So like the minimum that they'll win if nobody messes up is like over $2,000.

00:34:35 - 00:34:36 | Speaker 1:

Oh my God.

00:34:36 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 2:

But with mess up and fines that they do throughout the challenge, it starts to climb quickly because there's so many people a part of it. Wow. So, like, everybody kind of stays on top of everything for the first week, and then apparently it just goes downhill, and the prize just skyrockets. So, my brother didn't know how he was going to win this, because, you know, he's a fit man who runs six miles a day, but whatever.

00:35:00 - 00:35:43 | Speaker 3:

and he decided that he was going to go out and become the best housewife from 1988 that he possibly could and got himself ankle weights. But not just like two or five pound ankle weights because he texted me and he's like, I don't understand why these are so hard to find. I'm looking for 10 pound ankle weights. Wow. Not 10 pound total. That man is walking around with 20 pounds of weight on his ankles. Dude, he's going to ruin his joints. That's what I said. And he was like, they were really difficult to find. And I was like, yeah, because they're not good. They're so not good. He wears them everywhere. We went to Lowe's yesterday. He was walking around Lowe's with his little ankle weights on. He looks ridiculous.

00:35:43 - 00:35:45 | Speaker 2:

Wait, so under the pants or over the pants?

00:35:45 - 00:35:47 | Speaker 3:

Over, baby. Over.

00:35:48 - 00:35:49 | Speaker 5:

Wow.

00:35:49 - 00:35:50 | Speaker 2:

He is dedicated.

00:35:51 - 00:35:53 | Speaker 3:

A great sweatsuit and ankle weights.

00:35:54 - 00:36:04 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. So our ankle weights, it refreshed me. I remember when that was a thing Where people would wear ankle weights When they were working out And stuff like that Yeah But will ankle weights help you lose weight?

00:36:05 - 00:36:06 | Speaker 2:

I mean I don't know

00:36:06 - 00:36:06 | Speaker 5:

Or just make your calves stronger

00:36:06 - 00:36:13 | Speaker 2:

I just heard they're not good for you If they're over like a pound or two They're not great for you

00:36:13 - 00:36:17 | Speaker 5:

Wow And he wears them all the time?

00:36:18 - 00:36:26 | Speaker 3:

Bro, he took a nap yesterday And fell asleep in them Are his the ones with like the big Velcro straps

00:36:26 - 00:36:29 | Speaker 2:

Or are they the ones that just go on like bracelets?

00:36:29 - 00:36:38 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no, no. They're like full, somebody twisted their ankle, like Velcro, there's metal hooks in them. Oh my God, yeah.

00:36:38 - 00:36:46 | Speaker 5:

What does he do when he has to drive in a car and stuff? Doesn't that affect him at all?

00:36:46 - 00:36:51 | Speaker 3:

I don't know if he's driving around in them, but if he is, that's so dangerous.

00:36:51 - 00:36:52 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:36:52 - 00:36:53 | Speaker 3:

I can't imagine.

00:36:53 - 00:36:58 | Speaker 5:

And he's got a girlfriend, too, so I'm assuming that, you know, this is not the most romantic thing to be wearing.

00:36:59 - 00:37:08 | Speaker 3:

Oh, they go to the gym together. They're, like, living their little best life. It's gross. I hate it. Do they have matching ankle weights? No, I think she was reasonable.

00:37:09 - 00:37:21 | Speaker 4:

Could you imagine if he gets in a situation where he has to run? Like somebody's chasing him or, like, a dog or something dangerous happens, and he's trying to run in ankle weights. Can't move his legs.

00:37:21 - 00:37:33 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. It will make you have to pick up your legs fast. That would actually be funny. We should have somebody chase him. Have somebody hide by his car in the morning as he's going out to work.

00:37:34 - 00:37:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, let's put the fear of God in him. Wouldn't that be great?

00:37:37 - 00:38:03 | Speaker 5:

Wow. That is crazy. I'm always interested with these. This is the time where everybody's doing their resolutions, but there's also a lot of people that do the office challenges. and I think $3,000 might be the biggest I've ever heard of an office challenge. I'd do this. I would sew my mouth shut for a month to win an office challenge of $3,000. That's like life-changing money right there.

00:38:04 - 00:38:14 | Speaker 3:

Literally, but it's a long time. This isn't like a three-week competition. It's either two or three months. I think it's three months. I would never commit to that for three months.

00:38:14 - 00:38:22 | Speaker 5:

No matter how much money was on the line. How long did we do ours, though? We did ours last year, last spring, for a good period of time.

00:38:22 - 00:38:25 | Speaker 3:

I think it was about that same time. And how much did I bitch?

00:38:26 - 00:38:27 | Speaker 5:

It was the worst.

00:38:27 - 00:38:31 | Speaker 3:

It was the worst. I hated every minute of it. The first week was fun, and then it was miserable.

00:38:31 - 00:38:41 | Speaker 5:

Ours was, looking back on it, was considered to be somewhat of a simple challenge. You just had to do 10,000 steps a day, Monday through Friday, right?

00:38:41 - 00:38:44 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you're talking about that one. You guys did that for a month.

00:38:44 - 00:38:50 | Speaker 5:

No, we did. You guys did it for one month. 10,000 steps a day, and you cannot have sugar. Anything with sugar.

00:38:50 - 00:38:51 | Speaker 3:

And then a gallon of water a day.

00:38:51 - 00:39:02 | Speaker 5:

And you had to drink a gallon of water a day. And the water was the hardest part. By the way, all three of those things are probably things that our doctors are probably telling us that we should be just doing on a daily basis. This guy's wearing ankle weights around himself.

00:39:02 - 00:39:12 | Speaker 4:

That seems more, like, not the ankle weights. Your guys' challenge seems more reasonable and manageable, like him trying to lose weight that he doesn't have to lose, like he can't lose any more weight. Exactly.

00:39:12 - 00:39:14 | Speaker 1:

Exactly. He's like a fit man.

00:39:14 - 00:39:15 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Karen?

00:39:16 - 00:39:39 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. I just wanted to give the public service announcement that when I was in my 20s, I was being so healthy and I was walking miles and miles a day and I was wearing those ankle weights thinking that it was going to help me out. And in the long run, all it did was destroy the arches in my feet because you have so much weight and pressure right there. It's not just your joints, but it's your actual arches will disappear.

00:39:40 - 00:39:46 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. Megan, you got to have will you make a phone call to to Sean, Karen? and tell him?

00:39:47 - 00:39:48 | Speaker 1:

Absolutely.

00:39:49 - 00:39:52 | Speaker 5:

Megan's like, no, I want him to have destroyed arches.

00:39:52 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, because I... It would be funny to make fun of him for being like a flat-footed first version of man. It would be hysterical.

00:40:00 - 00:40:14 | Speaker 2:

By the way, I love this one. Sue, what did you want to say? Hi, Sue. Sue. Sue, are you there? She's definitely there. She's on a Bluetooth that she just muted. There you are, Sue.

00:40:16 - 00:40:17 | Speaker 5:

Hey, how are you?

00:40:17 - 00:40:18 | Speaker 2:

There you go. Where were you doing?

00:40:20 - 00:40:22 | Speaker 5:

Sorry, I was switching over to the phone.

00:40:22 - 00:40:25 | Speaker 2:

Okay. What's going on? This is funny, Megan. Listen to this.

00:40:25 - 00:40:36 | Speaker 5:

so i'm just wondering are they nervous that um is he nervous that they're like people are going to think he's like out of jail like those are like right there'd be like tethers

00:40:36 - 00:40:52 | Speaker 4:

especially walking around in the matching sweatsuit it was a look dude it was a look i sent you guys a photo did you see it oh my god hold on it was in the email oh my gosh wait it's hysterical that's hysterical

00:40:52 - 00:40:57 | Speaker 5:

Well, I would think having two on, that would be, like, a serious time.

00:40:58 - 00:41:25 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. This guy's a real criminal. He's got two of these things on right now. Thank you, Sue. I appreciate it. All right. All right. Good luck, Megan's brother, Sean, on your weight loss challenge. And good luck to anybody that drives in a car with him. He's going to end up not being able to take his foot off of the gas. Shannon had something happen to her last night. And knowing you You probably didn't say anything at all

00:41:25 - 00:41:32 | Speaker 1:

Guess what You wouldn't have said anything either Because we are the same We are non-confrontational people

00:41:32 - 00:41:37 | Speaker 2:

I would be like so angry And fuming Steam coming from me

00:41:37 - 00:41:39 | Speaker 1:

You're taking the words right out of my mouth

00:41:39 - 00:41:40 | Speaker 2:

There was steam coming from you

00:41:40 - 00:43:23 | Speaker 1:

There was steam coming out of my ears So let me explain what happened My girlfriend Ashley and I went to the mall last night And we had like a bunch of returns That we wanted to make And then we were like, let's just, let's grab some food at one of the mall restaurants. Well, I'm the type of person that always likes to sit at the bar and Ash is the same way. So we like scan the restaurant and we notice, we zero in on two ladies sitting at the bar that had paid the bill. Their drinks were almost gone. So we're like, perfect. We're going to go be those annoying people who stand right behind them and stalk them for their seats. But this bar actually has an area where you can do that, where you can like, there's a little ledge so you can grab a drink and stand and wait there, you know, for people to vacate their bar seats. So we kind of hung out just waiting for them to get up. A couple of minutes later, another, a woman walks into the restaurant and we can see her scanning the bar. She notices us and she said, oh, are you girls waiting for a spot at the bar? And we said, yeah, we've been here for about 10 minutes. We're just kind of, you know, waiting for these two, two ladies right here so fast forward 10 20 minutes i don't even know we're still waiting all of a sudden i see two different people get up the woman who asked us if we were waiting runs over and grabs those seats with her friend i'm like that's so rude the actual f she took seats knowing that we we had been waiting yeah for way longer than she had been waiting yeah literally looked us that's right in the eye as she was doing it too first world problems yes i know but i was so mad i will i wish i had that drop on my phone because i couldn't do it in person but i would go over

00:43:23 - 00:43:27 | Speaker 3:

and play the drop so you obviously walked up to her and said hey you're in my seat right no i

00:43:27 - 00:43:32 | Speaker 2:

wanted to so bad mike but of course i didn't so no what did you do what did you just sit there

00:43:32 - 00:44:05 | Speaker 1:

and have to wait for another spot to get open god my friend and i just sat there dumbfounded that she did this and looked at us as she was doing it like she did not give two craps and so the bartender I almost want to shout her out I don't know her name but she was my girl last night because she knew that we were waiting because she had given us drinks yeah so she was aware and so she actually walked up to the woman and said I'm so sorry but these ladies over here have been waiting for about a half an hour for you know seats at the bar so you gotta get up and go

00:44:06 - 00:44:11 | Speaker 2:

Wow. And she kicked him out. It was great. Wow. Thank God. Now, that's a bartender right there.

00:44:11 - 00:44:12 | Speaker 1:

Oh, she got a good tip.

00:44:12 - 00:44:13 | Speaker 2:

You better believe it.

00:44:14 - 00:44:14 | Speaker 1:

She got a good tip.

00:44:15 - 00:44:42 | Speaker 2:

I'm always amazed, and I don't know if this has ever happened to you before, of people that cut. Like the people that, and you can tell us your cutting story because it happens at the grocery store all the time. I've had this happen to me. I'm at Kroger, and I'm waiting to use the self-checkout machines, and I'm standing there. And somebody just kind of like, because what they do is they act like they're next thing, you know, I'm like, hey, wait a second. How did they get up there right now?

00:44:42 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 3:

And it's there's a karma that comes with cutting, too. Like yesterday, like those people who cut deserve bad karma. And I hope it comes their way. I hope yesterday I was in Starbucks and I accidentally cut. You ever do that where you don't realize that you cut and then you were the person that saw you cut.

00:45:00 - 00:45:10 | Speaker 2:

now is is behind you but instead of just like accepting the fact that you cut you give them their spot back because i'm so afraid of cutting karma like i feel like anybody who cutting karma

00:45:10 - 00:45:45 | Speaker 1:

that's a good one absolutely um i think that the grocery store is a place where it's happened starbucks is another good place where it's happened spaces parking spaces are big people swoop in um if you've ever gone to cedar point and you had people that will jump in front of you i like the people that run fast to get like you're walking you're walking on leisurely and then they They run right in front of you and almost knock you over with the wind beneath their wings. But those people are a-holes. Oh, airport. What is the story? Oh, that's the worst one at the gate. Why does everybody, why does everybody, Reese?

00:45:45 - 00:45:47 | Speaker 5:

He's getting so fired up he had to stand up out of his chair. I got to stand up.

00:45:48 - 00:46:04 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no, I think I have something hurting my butt right now. Usually my watch tells me when I stand up. Why is it, Reese, that people hover, hover around the, you know, area where you walk onto the plane?

00:46:04 - 00:46:06 | Speaker 5:

You got a ticket. You got a seat.

00:46:06 - 00:46:13 | Speaker 1:

And they're usually, you know, the people that are the hovers are usually the people that are the last ones called to get on the plane. Yes. But they're right there.

00:46:13 - 00:46:21 | Speaker 4:

Let me explain. Okay? Because those people who get on last and sit at the back of the bus, we're the ones with carry-ons that might not make it out of the plane.

00:46:21 - 00:46:29 | Speaker 5:

That's exactly... Okay. So we're fighting for carry-on space. And your carry-ons, way too big anyway. It's not going to fit. Not all of us can pay for the checked baggage, okay?

00:46:30 - 00:46:41 | Speaker 2:

We got to make it fit. We got to make it work. It's expensive to fly, all right? Not all of us live. It is what it is. Well, pack less. I strategically don't check the bag, by the way, because it's going to be free if they have to check it out the gate.

00:46:41 - 00:46:47 | Speaker 1:

If you didn't have that much clothes, you would have had enough money to buy a better ticket and get a seat in row 14.

00:46:48 - 00:46:49 | Speaker 4:

It's expensive.

00:46:49 - 00:46:53 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. What's going on, Maddie? It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:46:53 - 00:47:20 | Speaker 4:

hey hi mojo yeah my wife and i we both work at the same factory and they have a security process of when you leave the building and usually everyone gets out at the same time so there's always a big influx of people trying to get out the door and someone cut in front of my wife yesterday and they have a random security extra screening process that takes an extra few minutes to go through and they got randomly selected because they cut in front of her there you go

00:47:20 - 00:47:39 | Speaker 1:

cutting karma just like mike said thank you there is a god we love you that i love that that's interesting you know i never thought about how how bad it's got to be in you know businesses like yours where there's so many people trying to leave it at the same time i bet leaving's worse

00:47:39 - 00:47:54 | Speaker 4:

than coming right yeah it is and then everyone stands by the time clock like a few minutes before the actual time. So then it's really hard to actually get out when, you know, you're allowed to clock out a few minutes early, but everyone wants their extra two minutes.

00:47:54 - 00:47:57 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Thank you for listening to us. What's up, Doreen?

00:47:57 - 00:47:59 | Speaker 3:

Good morning, guys.

00:47:59 - 00:47:59 | Speaker 1:

Hi.

00:47:59 - 00:48:14 | Speaker 3:

I wanted to comment about the hovering at the airport. I'm actually that person, but I'm also the one that has all the kids and a baby on my lap, so I have to be the first one because it takes me.

00:48:14 - 00:48:20 | Speaker 1:

Okay, understandable. But they let you guys board first, usually.

00:48:21 - 00:48:24 | Speaker 3:

Well, usually it's first class. It's like business class.

00:48:24 - 00:48:33 | Speaker 1:

No, no, no. They always let, if it needs a little bit more time or you're a parent or military, they let you guys go before they let any of those people go.

00:48:34 - 00:48:52 | Speaker 3:

I'm also the last person off the plane because I don't want to get the stairs from, because my kids are not acting great. Well, that's like that's there. So everybody's when I'm like walking out of the airplane, like everybody's staring at me because my kids are just not quiet.

00:48:52 - 00:49:12 | Speaker 1:

Doreen, that's another one to getting on the plane. And then when you land and you pull up to the gate, the people that have to jump up as fast as they possibly can jump in the aisle and get, you know, their bag and like push out of the way, but have nowhere else to go. They're like, yeah, they're either at their destination or they're going, you know, home. They landed here in town and they're going home.

00:49:12 - 00:49:20 | Speaker 3:

Or they're standing up just for, like, the whole time until they let everybody out. Like, why are you standing? Like, it's going to be 15 minutes before they let us out anyway. Yeah.

00:49:21 - 00:49:28 | Speaker 5:

Another big time this happens, a lot of parents are texting in, is pick up and drop off at school.

00:49:28 - 00:49:36 | Speaker 1:

Yep. Yeah. And you know what's amazing is? You know those people. Those are people your kids are going to school with, and you guys are being so rude to them.

00:49:36 - 00:49:42 | Speaker 2:

And it's aggressive because everybody's in a car. So everybody feels, like, more comfortable getting aggressive in their car.

00:49:42 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I mean, and they're willing to run over kids to go do it. What's up, Rick? Hey, what's going on? Rick, are you one of these people that cuts in line? Okay, look, normally I hate cutters, okay? But have you ever been to the Renaissance Festival to get that?

00:50:00 - 00:50:36 | Speaker 8:

turkey leg that's minus an hour and a half of all is it really okay so i said i sent my fiancee to the beer line and i was in the turkey leg line and i just like you know what this is just not gonna work so i went to the front of the line there was this really pretty girl standing there i shamelessly flirted and i cut an hour off my wait time oh wow because of that cutting but did you have bad karma afterwards i was there with my mother-in-law And that was miserable in itself I bumped into those same people Nine times while they were still All over the park It was out there

00:50:36 - 00:50:41 | Speaker 6:

Alan's got a good one to add to the list What is it, Alan, that everybody rushes to do?

00:50:42 - 00:50:47 | Speaker 10:

Get on the elevator When the doors first open They don't give you a chance to even get off

00:50:47 - 00:50:48 | Speaker 6:

Oh, yeah

00:50:48 - 00:50:52 | Speaker 10:

It drives me crazy It's like, I don't know, they think there's a prize on there

00:50:52 - 00:50:55 | Speaker 6:

There's just got to be a president

00:50:55 - 00:51:10 | Speaker 5:

inside uh kim hi hi mojo hi leaving a sporting event or concert yes everybody has to run into the aisle and they don't realize hello the parking lot is going to be deadlocked so why are you

00:51:10 - 00:51:27 | Speaker 6:

running yeah yeah yeah exactly and they they try to race through and zigzag around through lines man trying to get out of like a lions game or or red wings game is a tough one thank you for the call and then john this is the ultimate john and you probably are faced with this this morning as

00:51:27 - 00:52:00 | Speaker 9:

you're driving good man what's going on not too much so when you're driving and there's a sign that says left lane and a half mile down and everybody's merging to the right and you got that one person who just wants to fly past everybody to try and get to the front and just squeeze their way in yep it's one of my absolute pet peeves and in life is to just try and make that person stay out. I will speed up. I will bumper to bumper to keep that person from getting in. Like, nope. We were all patient. We followed the rules. Yeah.

00:52:01 - 00:52:13 | Speaker 6:

And it's usually a guy in a BMW. Oh, yeah. It's usually it. That's funny. Thank you for the call. I appreciate it. Thank you, guys. All right. Bye. Spike Scams at 7.50 this morning.

00:52:13 - 00:52:17 | Speaker 7:

But first, coming up in less than 15 minutes on Mojo in the Morning, you'll hear this.

00:52:17 - 00:52:23 | Speaker 6:

All right. When we come back here in a second, we got Red Wings tickets to give you. So be listening. And Shannon's also got breaking dirty news.

00:52:23 - 00:52:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, the person who actually tried to save Lisa Marie Presley's life yesterday as she went into cardiac arrest. That's a very interesting story. And the real story behind the new song that Miley Cyrus dropped this morning. It definitely has a message for her ex-husband. We'll recap that for you coming up in the Dirty.

00:52:43 - 00:52:50 | Speaker 3:

This is your captain speaking. Thanks for listening. You are now free to walk around naked and listen to Mojo. Mojo.

00:52:50 - 00:52:52 | Speaker 4:

I love waking up to Mojo in the morning. In the morning.

00:52:55 - 00:52:59 | Speaker 7:

And by the way, they also will be honoring the University of Michigan with their college night on this night, which is happening on January the 21st. So win those tickets. 844-MOJO-LIVE.

00:53:30 - 00:53:32 | Speaker 7:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:53:33 - 00:53:42 | Speaker 6:

All right. Some heartbreaking news came in late last night. Shannon's got all the details on the death of Lisa Marie Presley.

00:53:43 - 00:53:46 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it was the dirty that sucked everybody yesterday afternoon.

00:53:46 - 00:54:00 | Speaker 4:

We have breaking news. It is sad news to report. Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter and only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, once married to Michael Jackson, the Nicolas Cage has died. She was just 54 years old. She'd been hospitalized for cardiac arrest.

00:54:00 - 00:54:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, she was rushed to the hospital after her housekeeper found her unresponsive at her Calabasas home yesterday morning. Her ex-husband, Danny Keogh, just happened to be there, performed CPR until paramedics arrived and took over. I do know they administered at least one dose of epinephrine during those resuscitation efforts. And EMTs were able to regain a pulse. So she was showing signs of life before she was transported to the hospital. But she coded several times there and ultimately passed away. And again, you heard Anderson Cooper say she was just 54 years old. And Elvis, Elvis' only child. Yeah, yep. Yeah, it's amazing to the air. Somebody who saw Lisa Marie just a few days ago, CNN's Chloe Millis, was talking about, and she wasn't the only one who said this, she didn't look very healthy at the Golden Globe Awards.

00:54:47 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 1:

I was at the Golden Globes. I was at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in the ballroom, seated just a few tables behind Lisa Marie and her mother Priscilla. And I immediately thought to myself when I saw her.

00:55:00 - 00:56:25 | Speaker 5:

that she just didn't look like her usual glowing bubbly happy self um she looked a bit somber lots people said the same thing she looked unsteady just didn't look healthy overall she has survived by her three children her twin daughters harper and finley and actress riley keogh she survived by her mom priscilla and remember she had a son benjamin who passed away in 2020 she actually just did a whole Instagram post about him. So, it's so sad. In Other Dirty Today, Miley Cyrus dropping her song, plus a very racy and amazing music video for her new single, Flowers, on the day that Jesso happens to be her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth's 33rd birthday. Great song. And the song's lyrics absolutely allude to her failed relationship with Liam. I mean, there are so many things in it that are obvious there. But so many people said it reminded them of the Bruno Mars song, When I Was Your Man, when I first previewed it for you last week. And if you were one of those people, you are absolutely correct. And there's a reason that was very much done on purpose. Here's the dirt. Liam sent Miley that Bruno Mars song, this one, when they got divorced. So her song Flowers is a direct response to that

00:56:25 - 00:56:40 | Speaker 3:

Wow It's so good I always love when people are smarter than I am That they can actually And this is the average person too They've got a way to get back at somebody So they always put it out at a certain time

00:56:40 - 00:56:48 | Speaker 5:

Very specifically the song Drops in Australia on January 13th at 11am

00:56:48 - 00:56:49 | Speaker 2:

Wow

00:56:49 - 00:56:54 | Speaker 5:

Oh, Flowers is the first single off of Miley's upcoming eighth studio album, Unless I'm a vacation.

00:56:55 - 00:57:03 | Speaker 2:

When I first heard it, I wasn't a giant fan, but you're absolutely right, Mojo. The second I know the story behind it, I'm like, I kind of like it. I kind of like this. I kind of like the song.

00:57:05 - 00:57:06 | Speaker 3:

It's a good song.

00:57:19 - 00:57:21 | Speaker 4:

I love this song.

00:57:21 - 00:57:27 | Speaker 3:

I'll be listening to this all weekend. We'll have it for you again coming up here in a little bit. All right. Okay, my next story.

00:57:28 - 00:57:30 | Speaker 5:

Another batch. Well, I got to stay on time for the throwback throwback.

00:57:30 - 00:57:31 | Speaker 3:

Okay, all right.

00:57:31 - 00:57:32 | Speaker 5:

Right? Or else you can yell at me.

00:57:32 - 00:57:40 | Speaker 3:

You tell me what you want to do. By the way, Spike's out today, so the boss isn't here. So we got time to have fun if we want to. Oh, okay.

00:57:41 - 00:58:10 | Speaker 5:

Another batch of out-of-place classified documents tied to President Joe Biden was just found, this time, in his garage. The president's lawyer searched the president's two Delaware homes following discovery of classified documents at an office that Biden kept in Washington and discovered a small number of additional Obama-Biden administration records with classified markings in the garage. The Justice Department was immediately notified and took possession of the records. He was talking about it during a press conference yesterday.

00:58:10 - 00:58:15 | Speaker 2:

Classified materials. Next year, Corvette. What were you thinking?

00:58:15 - 00:58:27 | Speaker 1:

let me uh we're going to get a chance to speak on all this god willing soon but as i said earlier this week people and by the way my corvette's in a locked garage okay so it's not like you're

00:58:27 - 00:58:32 | Speaker 5:

sitting out in the street right next to the corvette yeah so attorney general merrick garland

00:58:32 - 00:58:56 | Speaker 3:

has been appointed what's up with these last two presidents and you know this must be more common than we think but i will say this though i will say this it's interesting when everybody Came down on the last guy For this and now we find out that Okay the last guy was keeping them In his vacation home or whatever And then this guy's Keeping them in his Corvette

00:58:56 - 00:58:58 | Speaker 5:

Not in the Corvette, next to the Corvette

00:58:58 - 00:58:59 | Speaker 3:

Or next to the Corvette

00:58:59 - 00:59:06 | Speaker 1:

I think everybody should be held responsible If you did something wrong You should be held responsible

00:59:06 - 00:59:36 | Speaker 3:

Period But also the other thing too is it's interesting that They found the first batch of this They said in November and the second batch of the stuff, the stuff in the garage, they found in December. And we're just hearing about it now. And why didn't they say both batches the other day, on Monday, when they both, you know what I mean? Why didn't they say, we found stuff in his office and also stuff in his house, and here's the stuff. Why do they wait? It's almost kind of like, because the story was broke by CBS, which I didn't even know CBS still had news. But they broke it by CBS.

00:59:36 - 00:59:40 | Speaker 5:

And didn't Hunter Biden live in that house? Well, there's a lot of people.

00:59:40 - 00:59:53 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, there's a lot of people going in and out. They actually, matter of fact, remember, he campaigned from that house. So there was a lot of his campaign people that were coming in and out of there. A lot of people thought that it was not a secured place for him to be holding those documents.

00:59:53 - 01:00:04 | Speaker 2:

How many people stay at all of these houses of all of these elite people that have these records? It's just crazy. Like you said, Mojo, you know it's more than just these presidents or vice presidents. Oh, yeah.

01:00:04 - 01:00:21 | Speaker 1:

Well, it was former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that had him on her server, too. So a lot of these people take this stuff. All right, let's say this. You cannot steal things from the radio station. You cannot steal things from the White House. You got to keep that stuff there at the White House. No pens, no papers.

01:00:22 - 01:00:24 | Speaker 2:

I'll be the president because I take everything over.

01:00:24 - 01:00:30 | Speaker 1:

I was going to say, is this a new rule we're just starting today? Mike, you behave yourself. Colleen is listening right now as we speak.

01:00:31 - 01:01:58 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to end on this story. It's a big local story in Michigan. A Michigan school district is under fire after allegedly bringing students to a restaurant with a stripper pole lounge. That's my kind of school. Where is the school? I'm transferring my kids. This took place in November when sixth grade band and orchestra students from Hart Middle School in Rochester Hills visited Nicky's Pizza in Detroit after taking in a performance by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. So Nicky's Pizza is in Greektown, if you're not familiar. It's in downtown Detroit. Problem is, Nicky's Pizza operates in conjunction with Nicky's Lounge, which is a nightclub complete with stripper poles. And that did not go over well with Rochester Community Schools trustee and parent, Andrew Weaver, who posted about this with photos of the kids playing on the polls on Facebook. Now, the owner of Nicky's, her name is Agatha Califinos, says that, you know, the school would have known about the seating arrangements when it made its reservation. And she said typically when we have a group of over 100 people We give them the option of going to the second floor Which does operate as a club on Saturday nights But it's closed during the day She said we've been doing this for 20 years We've had dozens of school groups There's never been an issue with this And she also made sure to clarify that the metal poles are not stripper poles They're simply part of the decoration

01:01:58 - 01:02:01 | Speaker 1:

That's part of the decorative decor

01:02:01 - 01:02:06 | Speaker 2:

But the kids were on them They were stripper poles I mean they're stripper poles

01:02:06 - 01:02:25 | Speaker 1:

You know what? I think that we should take our kids to places where people make money. And believe it or not, people make money at strip clubs. So let's have a field trip for your economics class, your high school economics class. No, it's middle school. Oh, this is middle school. Oh, in that case, that's probably not a good idea.

01:02:25 - 01:02:33 | Speaker 2:

For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on mojointhemorning.com. Get the stories you'll talk about all day on Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:02:33 - 01:03:00 | Speaker 1:

All right, Mojo on the Morning Show, giving away Wings tickets right now. Jillian. Good morning. Good morning. You're going. Congratulations. Going to see the Wings take on the Philadelphia Flyers at Little Caesars Arena on January the 21st. College night representing all of those that say Go Blue, the University of Michigan. They got all kinds of cool Red Wings, University of Michigan hats and shirts and all kinds of good stuff. So congrats. You got tickets to that game.

01:03:01 - 01:03:04 | Speaker 2:

Awesome. Thank you so much. My husband's going to be so excited.

01:03:04 - 01:03:06 | Speaker 1:

Oh, very nice. You got plans for the weekend?

01:03:07 - 01:03:09 | Speaker 2:

Oh, nothing really planned this weekend.

01:03:10 - 01:03:38 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's going to be cold this weekend. So anything you plan, you do it indoors because it's going to be like temperatures only in like the 20s. I think Saturday and Sunday. But then it warms back up on Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. And then next week, I think we'll also be warmer, too. We've been really lucky. I'm not going to complain about any of this stuff. Like, we haven't had the cold or even the snow that we probably should be getting right now.

01:03:38 - 01:03:39 | Speaker 2:

Agreed. Yep.

01:03:39 - 01:03:42 | Speaker 1:

I'm not going to complain. Congrats to you. Hang on the phone, okay?

01:03:43 - 01:03:44 | Speaker 2:

All right. Thank you so much.

01:03:45 - 01:04:14 | Speaker 1:

You're welcome. Mojo on the morning show. So I had a really interesting phone call come my way. I'm doing an event for a great organization that I'm not going to say it on the air now, but I'm doing an event that will be coming up here very soon, and I'll tease it on the air it's going to be I've never done a golf tournament before because I've always hated going to like these charity golf tournaments because it's like five and a half hours out of your day or sometimes even more

01:04:14 - 01:04:18 | Speaker 2:

you're participating in one or you're putting one on?

01:04:18 - 01:04:24 | Speaker 1:

No, I'm actually going to have one that's going to be one that's going to be surrounded around me but we're doing it at Topgolf

01:04:24 - 01:04:26 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's a great idea

01:04:26 - 01:04:27 | Speaker 1:

Isn't that the greatest?

01:04:27 - 01:04:28 | Speaker 2:

See, I would go to that

01:04:28 - 01:05:30 | Speaker 1:

So yeah, so it'd be kind of cool, wouldn't it? You know, and I think there'll be more people that will participate that are not you know not a golfer they just want to drink and yeah you know eat and do all the rest of stuff and i hope that all of you guys will go and and i will i will comp all of you guys if you go charity you guys will all be comped um i'll take it don't say that this is the same girl by the way that won't pay for her bag to be checked remember that all right so let me tell you this story so So... Mandy, my friend who is putting this on, she's the head of the organization, has been trying to get a hold of me. And I've been really crazy busy the last couple of weeks. And honestly, people always end up calling at the worst times for me. They'll end up calling me either during the show. They'll call me while I'm in like some kind of a thing with like my son or Chelsea or whatever or when I'm pooping. And so I don't pick up the phone. And then not necessarily do I return phone calls, but she hasn't left me a message.

01:05:30 - 01:05:30 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

01:05:31 - 01:06:09 | Speaker 1:

And long story short, Mandy sends a message to another person that we're friends with and says, he's ignoring me. I don't know what's going on. So this person called me and said, you got to call Mandy. So I call Mandy up on the phone and Mandy says to me, I am so embarrassed. And I said, Mandy, why are you embarrassed? And she goes, did you hear that voicemail message? And I go, Mandy, I didn't get a voicemail message from you. And she goes, oh, good. You didn't get the voicemail message. And I said, what's the voicemail? She goes, I'm not going to tell you. I'm not going to tell you. And I said, what do you mean you're not going to tell me? And she says, well, I said some things I probably shouldn't have said on the voicemail message.

01:06:09 - 01:06:09 | Speaker 3:

What?

01:06:10 - 01:06:20 | Speaker 1:

Okay. So I think that she was really mad at me. And I don't know, you know, because I have, to be honest with you, have not listened to the voicemail message. I know. Because I couldn't see. You know how on Apple it comes up on under voicemails?

01:06:20 - 01:06:23 | Speaker 3:

And you can see the transcription if you don't want to listen to it.

01:06:23 - 01:06:32 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, or it says the person's name on it and stuff. It didn't show up on that because I got this new iPhone. And for some reason, I'm not getting some text. I'm not getting some voicemails, I guess.

01:06:32 - 01:06:32 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

01:06:32 - 01:06:41 | Speaker 1:

All right? So I said, you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to call my phone number and put my code in. Have you done that in forever? Probably not, right?

01:06:41 - 01:06:43 | Speaker 3:

I don't even know what you're talking about.

01:06:43 - 01:07:17 | Speaker 1:

So with your iPhone, remember the old days when you got voicemail messages? It would show you have so many messages. And you had to dial your phone number or hit pound something or whatever. I do remember that. And you have to remember what your code is. So it took me a while to remember what the heck my code was, but I wanted to see how many messages that I had that I wasn't listening to. Now, I'm going to say this to Mandy. I have not listened to your voicemail message, okay? All I listened to was to see if it was that you left me a new message, and this is the only part that I've listened to.

01:07:18 - 01:07:20 | Speaker 3:

Mojo, hey, it's Mandy.

01:07:20 - 01:07:21 | Speaker 1:

All right, that's all I've heard.

01:07:22 - 01:07:24 | Speaker 3:

How are you not listening to the rest of that?

01:07:25 - 01:07:40 | Speaker 1:

Question. Because she said to me, don't listen to that message. Should I listen to it or should I not listen to it? Because I want to know what she said. Listen to it. You think so? Well, okay. Because she, I mean, she could have been saying some things that I would not like.

01:07:40 - 01:08:03 | Speaker 3:

I feel like I want you to give me your phone and I'm going to delete, delete. Because we've all had moments where we have acted. like where we've bubbled over and said things or did things that we really really regretted later and i feel like if you listen to it she was probably having one of those moments and it will totally change your perspective on on her and that's what it that's what it sounded like

01:08:03 - 01:08:15 | Speaker 1:

when she told me don't listen to it like she was really adamant about don't listen to it so i'm only assuming she might have said something but reese you say listen to it i say listen to it Mike, Megan, what do you guys say?

01:08:15 - 01:08:23 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, because it sounds like she may have said something bad, but what if she said something bad about you? Not that she would. That's totally what it is.

01:08:23 - 01:08:28 | Speaker 1:

That's honestly what I'm thinking. I'm thinking, because remember, I wasn't answering her phone calls.

01:08:28 - 01:08:31 | Speaker 3:

See, I wouldn't want to know. She had a moment. Let her have her moment. We all have them.

01:08:32 - 01:08:40 | Speaker 1:

So, Shannon, you're a don't listen to it. Megan, what are you? Are you a, should I find out what is being said about me?

01:08:40 - 01:08:56 | Speaker 2:

The right answer is for you to delete it. My answer is for you to listen to it. I think Shannon's right. We all have these moments, but at the same time, accountability, baby.

01:08:56 - 01:08:57 | Speaker 1:

You did it. You did it.

01:08:58 - 01:09:08 | Speaker 3:

When people send you an email, and then they send you a follow-up email redacting it, which I hate that word, do you go back and read the first email? I just delete it.

01:09:08 - 01:09:14 | Speaker 1:

Well, sometimes I want to know what was the big thing, but I don't know.

01:09:14 - 01:09:17 | Speaker 3:

I'm not fucking call back again.

01:09:17 - 01:09:25 | Speaker 2:

I want to know what it was. Yeah, I'm with you. I'm too nosy not to know what that is, especially if you tell me don't do that. Don't listen to that.

01:09:25 - 01:09:26 | Speaker 3:

Some things are better left to know.

01:09:26 - 01:09:34 | Speaker 1:

Mike, it brought me back to my childhood. It brought me back to my childhood when my mom would tell me not to do something or when as a parent, I've told my kids not to do something and they go right ahead and do it.

01:09:34 - 01:09:44 | Speaker 2:

Had you never told me not to listen to that voicemail, guaranteed I wouldn't have listened to that voicemail anyways because I don't listen to voicemails. But now that you told me not to, I'm going to listen to it. What kind of a relationship do you have with her?

01:09:45 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Actually, she's a very sweet lady. She's awesome. I'll give you this. She works for the Oakland County Sheriff's Department. She's a great lady. And honestly, I don't think I've ever upset her at all. So I don't think that it's, you know, who knows?

01:10:00 - 01:10:01 | Speaker 3:

So you have said things that you regret, I bet.

01:10:01 - 01:10:02 | Speaker 1:

I have.

01:10:02 - 01:10:03 | Speaker 3:

And you wish that you could suck them back in.

01:10:03 - 01:10:12 | Speaker 1:

And I felt bad that I didn't, you know, pick up her calls. But this is one of those things that could change our relationship forever if I listened to it. Wouldn't that be fun?

01:10:12 - 01:10:13 | Speaker 3:

Why don't I listen to it?

01:10:14 - 01:10:15 | Speaker 1:

Give me your phone.

01:10:15 - 01:10:29 | Speaker 2:

I'll listen to it and I'll tell you. But, Shannon, haven't you said things even on this show that you didn't like? Every damn day. Right. And then people bring it up to us all the time. Yes. And we have to deal with it. And I wish I could take it back and erase it.

01:10:29 - 01:10:31 | Speaker 3:

Right. I mean, you can.

01:10:32 - 01:10:41 | Speaker 1:

Wouldn't you love to have a 20-second delay on your life so you can dump out of things like we do people's swear words? Susan, what's going on?

01:10:42 - 01:10:45 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, Mojo. I'm curious. You have an iPhone, right?

01:10:45 - 01:10:46 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

01:10:47 - 01:10:53 | Speaker 4:

How did you not see the transcription of the message when you went to go listen to it? No. Did all the words come up?

01:10:53 - 01:11:05 | Speaker 1:

No, because... Mine has been not doing that lately. Well, no, but also, remember, I had to call my number to get the message. So I called, heard the first part of it, yes, and then, yeah, that's it.

01:11:06 - 01:11:10 | Speaker 4:

Okay, I was just curious because I've got an iPhone, too, and the transcription comes right off.

01:11:10 - 01:11:19 | Speaker 1:

I only look at the transcription to see the phone number. That's usually the only time that I actually look for it, but I don't really read it. Thank you for the call, though. What's up, Jenny?

01:11:20 - 01:11:33 | Speaker 5:

You know, I think if you do listen to it, you need to do so with an open mind. Because clearly something was bothering her that she may not have communicated it the way that she would have liked it.

01:11:33 - 01:11:36 | Speaker 1:

You know what that something was? Me.

01:11:37 - 01:11:37 | Speaker 5:

No.

01:11:38 - 01:11:39 | Speaker 1:

I'm the something.

01:11:39 - 01:11:47 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, but if you did something that really upset her, wouldn't you want to know so that you could change that later?

01:11:47 - 01:11:47 | Speaker 1:

No, you're right.

01:11:48 - 01:11:49 | Speaker 3:

But if it really upset her, she would tell you.

01:11:50 - 01:11:51 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:11:51 - 01:11:58 | Speaker 5:

Well, maybe she's one of those people that is afraid to really seek her mind and blows up.

01:11:59 - 01:12:01 | Speaker 1:

No, she's not. She's usually pretty calm.

01:12:01 - 01:12:02 | Speaker 5:

Never has a conversation.

01:12:02 - 01:12:20 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, in my dealings with her, she's always been great. And actually, when I talked to her on the phone, everything was great. And we had a good conversation. And everything, you know, we worked out the arrangements that we're going to be doing. But I just want to know what she said in the message that she was so adamant about. Don't listen to the message. Anita?

01:12:21 - 01:12:21 | Speaker 6:

Yes.

01:12:22 - 01:12:34 | Speaker 1:

Yes. What are your thoughts on this one? Real quick, I have Shannon on my right shoulder. She's the good angel. And I've got Mike, Megan, and Reese on the other one.

01:12:35 - 01:12:36 | Speaker 6:

We're petty bitches.

01:12:37 - 01:12:38 | Speaker 1:

What do you say?

01:12:39 - 01:13:01 | Speaker 6:

Okay, I'm with the petty one. Welcome. I don't think it's really petty because she already prefaced it with don't listen to it but see I'm so nosy that I would have to listen to it but whatever she says you're not going to hold against her now because she already was like okay yeah don't listen to it yeah but you know what you

01:13:01 - 01:13:08 | Speaker 3:

might hold it against her because words you can't they don't go away once they're in your brain they're in your brain

01:13:08 - 01:13:12 | Speaker 1:

oh hold on she's texting me right now oh my god

01:13:12 - 01:13:17 | Speaker 3:

like that all sticks and stones may hurt my whatever the hell it is that is so false

01:13:17 - 01:13:22 | Speaker 1:

Hold on, I'm calling Mandy right now. Hold on, I'm going to see if she'll answer the phone.

01:13:22 - 01:13:24 | Speaker 2:

I hope she'll tell us what she said.

01:13:24 - 01:13:27 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, see if we can listen to it or not listen to it.

01:13:27 - 01:13:30 | Speaker 2:

To be fair, she probably said things we all wanted to say.

01:13:30 - 01:13:30 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:13:31 - 01:13:35 | Speaker 7:

Do not put me on the air. Mandy, come on. Come on, Mandy.

01:13:36 - 01:13:39 | Speaker 1:

Mandy, come on. Can I listen to it or should I not listen to it?

01:13:39 - 01:13:44 | Speaker 7:

No, you can listen to it. I mean, of course you can listen to it. It's yours.

01:13:45 - 01:13:55 | Speaker 1:

Question for you. Were the words fat, idiot, dummy, it all used at any kind of sentence on this voicemail message?

01:13:56 - 01:13:58 | Speaker 7:

Say that again. I'm sorry.

01:13:58 - 01:14:03 | Speaker 1:

Were the words fat, idiot, dummy used at all any time in this voicemail message?

01:14:03 - 01:14:13 | Speaker 7:

Absolutely not. No, if anything, I probably had a hint of desperation in my voice. I have a tendency to ramble. No. It probably went on for way longer than it should have.

01:14:13 - 01:14:20 | Speaker 1:

By the way, I did the ultimate tease on this golf tournament, and we're going to have a date coming very soon for people, so I just want everybody to know that, okay?

01:14:21 - 01:14:23 | Speaker 7:

That's amazing. Thank you.

01:14:23 - 01:14:23 | Speaker 1:

All right.

01:14:23 - 01:14:25 | Speaker 7:

You're so the best.

01:14:25 - 01:14:25 | Speaker 1:

Listen.

01:14:26 - 01:14:31 | Speaker 7:

I haven't heard of the segment yet, but I guess I should hold my confidence.

01:14:32 - 01:14:35 | Speaker 1:

Wait, did the sheriff call you up and tell you I was talking about you, or who called you?

01:14:35 - 01:14:42 | Speaker 7:

No, my girlfriend, who's a super fan, just texted me, and then Jimmy called me, and I'm on the phone, blown up. That's okay, though.

01:14:42 - 01:14:53 | Speaker 1:

Do me a favor, Mandy, don't comp Megan because Megan told me to listen to the voicemail message. She wants to be comped for our charity event.

01:14:53 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 7:

Well, I have to meet Megan first. All right, perfect. To be fair, I've been.

A lot of breaking dirty news. Usually Fridays are kind of just whatever as far as the dirty is concerned because not a lot of stuff happens. But unfortunately, there was the death of Lisa Marie.

01:19:49 - 01:19:56 | Speaker 2:

I'm so sad about this. Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, passed away at 54 years old.

01:19:56 - 01:19:58 | Speaker 1:

Did you know she actually had a singing career and she had songs?

01:19:58 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 2:

I forgot about that until...

01:20:00 - 01:20:44 | Speaker 3:

yesterday to be honest but she you know paramedics were paramedics excuse me were called at her home in calabasas because they were treating a woman in her 50s who was not breathing it was lisa marie presley when they arrived paramedics started cpr her ex-husband actually was at her house at the time and started cpr but um she was transferred to a local hospital for immediate medical care where she passed away in a statement her mom priscilla said it is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter, Lisa Marie, has left us. She was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known. Looking back on a moment where her dad was talking about her and how she would never call him dad.

01:20:44 - 01:20:56 | Speaker 2:

That's what my little daughter says. My little daughter goes around and says, Hey Elvis, what you gonna do? I swear to God, six years old. Hey Elvis? I said, hi, I'm your daddy, don't call me. Hey okay, hey Elvis.

01:20:56 - 01:21:01 | Speaker 3:

And she said she always thought that she really took more so after her dad than her mom.

01:21:02 - 01:21:23 | Speaker 1:

I think probably more my father. I lean more towards that side of my family a little bit. Although I have my mom's strength, I think. His personality and sort of his intensity levels sometimes I can emulate pretty well. Not intentionally, but just kind of in some obviously mannerisms, which I don't even sometimes know that I have.

01:21:23 - 01:21:38 | Speaker 3:

Had a few marriages during her lifetime, including to Michael Jackson. Remember that? Remember when they were at the VMAs and they like awkwardly kissed on the stage because people didn't believe that they were actually married?

01:21:38 - 01:21:42 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I remember that. And I also remember...

01:21:42 - 01:21:42 | Speaker 3:

Nicolas Cage.

01:21:43 - 01:21:47 | Speaker 4:

Well, no. Were you talking about Michael Jackson? No, the Michael Jackson. I remember they had to do that interview...

01:21:47 - 01:21:48 | Speaker 3:

With Diane Sawyer.

01:21:48 - 01:21:56 | Speaker 4:

With Diane Sawyer because a lot of people all believed that it was a BS... relationship, right? Right. Yeah, so... Play that clip.

01:21:56 - 01:22:10 | Speaker 3:

I think this is from the DMX. I'm very happy to be here. Yeah. And just think, nobody thought this would last. And they kissed, and it was like...

01:22:10 - 01:22:10 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:22:11 - 01:22:11 | Speaker 3:

Wilford.

01:22:14 - 01:22:45 | Speaker 4:

Do you remember she appeared in the video? This one for this song right here, actually. You Are Not Alone. and she was like topless and he was like with her in bed and everybody thought that Michael and her really had a fake relationship because she went in for like a kiss in the video and Michael kind of like let her kiss his cheek and he had to come out and say well we don't do that in videos I don't sit there and and show you know sexual scenes in videos right but yeah a lot of

01:22:45 - 01:23:07 | Speaker 3:

people are saying my girlfriends were texting about this this morning like is that family cursed I mean, Elvis died so young. Her son, Benjamin, died a couple of years ago. This, she died so young. I don't know. Another big Breaking Dirty this morning. Did I say dirty this morning? Dirty story this morning. Is that Kanye West is married, supposedly? What? Allegedly? I don't know.

01:23:08 - 01:23:13 | Speaker 4:

I was thinking the other day, I'm like, Kanye's been really quiet and good lately. He hasn't been doing much.

01:23:13 - 01:24:45 | Speaker 3:

Who is the lucky lady? She is Yeezy designer Bianca Sensori. Just two months after his divorce from Kim Kardashian was finalized, the big rumor is that he held a private, intimate ceremony with Bianca. They have both been spotted wearing wedding rings. He was spotted with his last week. They were spotted together a couple of days ago at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills. Now, a couple of things here. There might have been a ceremony, but no marriage certificate was filed. So legally, they're not really married. Don't know how long they've known each other or been dating. I know she joined Kanye's Easy Company in 2020, so at least that long. And she looks just like Kim. Now, she's got short blonde hair at the moment, but when her naturally dark hair is dark and long, I mean, dead ringer for Kim Kardashian, which is kind of weird. Former high school musical star Ashley Tisdale is coming out to detail her struggle with alopecia. She said in her early 20s, she noticed there was a little bit of a bald spot near her hairline. And she asked her hairstylist, what is that? And her hairstylist was the one that told her it was alopecia. And Ashley said at the time, I didn't even really know what that was. But after receiving an official diagnosis from her dermatologist, she learned the condition is autoimmune and it's triggered by a lot of stress. She said it really affected her self-esteem. She felt like for a long time she was the only one going through it, which is why she said she now wants to talk about it openly. and share some of the solutions that have helped her deal with alopecia over the years.

01:24:45 - 01:24:49 | Speaker 4:

Isn't alopecia the same thing that Jada Pinkett-Smith also has too, right?

01:24:49 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and she said yoga, meditation, and therapy using platelet-rich plasma and an autoimmune paleo diet have really helped her.

01:25:00 - 01:25:58 | Speaker 2:

battle through that. Yellowstone has started to trend in suburbia, and I'm not talking about viewership of the show. I'm talking about the apparel from the show. If you don't know Yellowstone, if you haven't watched it, it centers on a family called the Duttons. It's a family of ranchers led by John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner as they protect their land. Well, the rustic look seen on the show has inspired fans all over the world to dress like John and Beth and Rip. Retailers are calling it cowboy couture which i love so in america any retailer that sells cowboy hats stetson um greely hatworks kimosabe they're all saying like we can't we can't sell enough cowboy hats right now because everybody wants their yellowstone cowboy hat wrangler even has a line of yellowstone branded items that they say consistently just sells out there's a um a

01:25:58 - 01:26:39 | Speaker 1:

Western country, Western store in Farmington Hills, Michigan, that is like amazing. And I went in there to go buy Chelsea and I cowboy hats as a kind of I was using it as a joke gift for Christmas a couple of years back. And they don't take it as a joke. Like the people there, they don't take you're buying a cowboy hat as a joke, but they do have a whole section of Yellowstone stuff. And they, I'm sure, appreciate the sales that they're getting right now. Yeah. But people who are cowboys, true cowboys or, you know, people that wear cowboy hats and stuff, they don't joke around with a bunch of, you know, white dudes like me walking around looking goofy in their hats.

01:26:39 - 01:28:05 | Speaker 2:

And real quick, a judge has ruled that Geico, as in the intern's company, does not have to pay a Missouri woman $5.2 million despite her claims that she got an STD while inside a car insured by the company. Do you guys remember this story? The case made its way to the Missouri Supreme Court, which ruled unanimously to overturn a ruling from a lower court that sided with this woman being paid millions of dollars by Geico. The woman in the case claims that while having sex in 2017 with a male partner inside his 2015 Hyundai Genesis, she contracted HPV. The car was covered by a Geico insurance plan at the time the two had relations, as Dr. Warner, the show Gynecologist, calls it. Court docs say because the man knew he had the disease and didn't tell her, he and his insurance were liable. She says the incident has left her with past and future medical expenses, mental and physical pain and suffering. And according to the complaint, she claims that the car insurance policy, Geico, should cover her injuries and financial troubles. I remember this story. Being that the virus was contracted in the car. However, Geico's saying, no way, because the car was not in its quote-unquote typical use when she contracted said STD. So this sent the man and woman into arbitration. It was then decided the man had been negligent when he infected her because he didn't tell her. So Geico's off the hook. It was so silly.

But we don't know full details, and I don't want to speculate on anything yet.

01:29:38 - 01:30:00 | Speaker 1:

You have a great day, too. When we come back here next on the Mojo in the Morning show. Don't miss this. Mojo in the Morning. Is Mike getting the boot? Like, literally, we're going to talk about that in just a matter of moments. Also on the way, it was the thing that KP's parents forgot to teach.

01:30:00 - 01:30:15 | Speaker 3:

And by the way, I feel like I relate to this now as a parent because there's many things that come back and bite me in the ass that I didn't teach my kids. We'll talk about that and more. We got a lot of the show coming up. It's Mojo in the Morning. Happy Friday. More Mojo in minutes.

01:30:16 - 01:30:20 | Speaker 5:

It's time for more Mojo. Mojo in the Morning.

01:30:20 - 01:30:43 | Speaker 3:

All right. We have breaking news, breaking news for all of our listeners that are checking us out this morning in Toledo. Are we back on every station? Because I might have screwed up. OK, we have an active shooter situation going on right now at Ottawa Hills High School. And let me just listen in to some of the TV coverage.

01:30:43 - 01:30:49 | Speaker 4:

There's a large police presence right now at Ottawa Hills High School. Let's go right out to 13 ABC's Ethan Watts. He's on the scene right now.

01:30:49 - 01:31:28 | Speaker 1:

Right to the scene right now. What is going on? The Lucas County Sheriff's Office did confirm with us. They did receive this call because of a possible active shooter. We have not verified any information with the Toledo police right now in terms of what they found inside. So far, police are sweeping the high school, trying to find out if someone actually is inside with a weapon. We've seen parents swarm this entire scene all morning for the past about 30, 45 minutes. They all tell us the exact same thing. They received Facebook messages, phone calls, text messages from each other, all saying an active shooter was inside the building.

01:31:28 - 01:31:32 | Speaker 3:

All right, we'll monitor that. And what else do you get, Megan?

01:31:33 - 01:31:55 | Speaker 2:

So parents, you can pick up your kids at Ottawa Hills Elementary, but you are not being allowed near the high school. I do believe St. Ursula, which is literally on the same street, across the street from Ottawa Hills High School, they are on a lockdown right now as well. But administrators have come out and said that no kids have been hurt. But that's really the only information we have right now.

01:31:55 - 01:33:26 | Speaker 3:

All right. We will continue to keep monitoring that and give you information as we get it. And, of course, our thoughts and prayers with all the people at the schools, not knowing what's going on, if there's anybody that's had any issues. But I will say this, my thoughts and prayers are with the administrators, the kids and everybody just making sure that they get get to safety, you know, in a in a way that makes their parents in everybody OK. And the first responders on the scene. I mean, I will tell you this, just like what we saw in our area, in the Detroit area, when, you know, the Oxford situation happened, the first responders were quick to get to the scene. I mean, they they don't mess and they want to protect these kids. So they're doing their best. So and I don't want to give any information out on the air that honestly is not true, because that's the problem is we get text messages from listeners that will give us information. And we don't know if we can believe everything that comes our way. And sometimes people just spread stories. And that's the problem, I think, nowadays with social media and everything. And if I was a parent who's going to get my child or right now already waiting for my child to come out there, I don't want to hear a radio station talking about something that's not true. So, all right, Mojo in the morning show. Mike is getting kicked out of where, Mike? Where are you getting kicked out of?

01:33:26 - 01:33:34 | Speaker 5:

My space, my temple here at work, my office. It's not really an office. It's like a closet with my stuff in it.

01:33:35 - 01:33:38 | Speaker 3:

It actually is. It's been yours for how long, though?

01:33:38 - 01:34:11 | Speaker 5:

For a while now. For a while now. And it's got, like, years and years and years of, because I've been in West Michigan and on SNX for a while. So it's got memories and all kinds of stuff. And first off, I'll say this. I'm being a giant baby about this, and I know that. And I fully understand that. I don't use that office like I used to. I used to have clients in here all the time that would go to that office and meet. and I used to have record reps and artists come in, but now they can just come to the studio. The studio is basically my office now.

01:34:11 - 01:34:32 | Speaker 3:

Can I, just to bring people in on this and give them details on this, Mike is on our show. He's a show member with Mojo in the Morning, but he's also, he wears like 12 hats. Yeah. You're the music director, APD, is that right? Yeah, yeah, so like for Detroit, I'd be like the Sean Strife.

01:34:32 - 01:34:33 | Speaker 5:

Yes. Yeah, yeah.

01:34:33 - 01:34:36 | Speaker 3:

So with Sean has an office.

01:34:37 - 01:34:37 | Speaker 5:

Yes.

01:34:38 - 01:35:48 | Speaker 3:

And I'm going to say this. You do still do a lot of work where you have time where you have office time, you know? Yeah, yeah. And there are other people that do use that studio, right? Don't they? Aren't there some people that go in there and do stuff? Schmitty and those guys do shows and things? Yeah, they could technically do it from another studio. This has become sort of like my office where I could do everything in the studio. So I'm trying – and that's how I have to tell myself not to overreact on this because what I want to do is go, no, that's my office. I'm keeping it. So what happened? They came to you, and what did they say? They politely came to me and said, hey, we want to move some stuff around. How much do you use that office? And I'm like, oh, all my stuff's in there, but I'm in and out, not as much as I used to. okay, well, I think we're going to move somebody in there, and I don't know who they're moving in there or what exactly they're doing, but it was kind of like this is your – it was like an eviction notice. Like this is your warning. It's coming. It's time. I'm getting the boot. I blame KP because I'm pretty sure she's the one who did it. I'm just kidding.

01:35:48 - 01:35:57 | Speaker 4:

I was going to say, well, how did KP have anything to do with this? I was wondering. Throwback throwdown. There's really nothing more to tie that together. So

01:35:57 - 01:35:58 | Speaker 2:

I know

01:35:58 - 01:36:30 | Speaker 4:

It's the end of an era Mike If they're evicting you from your home Uh huh You have rights I do? Yes What are those rights? Well I don't know Let's ask Let's ask a lawyer Do we have any rights on this one here? Just like when somebody lives in a dwelling Like an apartment or a house or something Or they're renting You can't just evict somebody You have to give them I think a notice I think it has to be like a 30-day or 60-day or 90-day notice.

01:36:30 - 01:36:31 | Speaker 3:

That might be what that was then.

01:36:32 - 01:36:33 | Speaker 4:

How much of a notice did they give you?

01:36:33 - 01:36:38 | Speaker 3:

I'm not out yet. My stuff's still in there. This was like a, hey, this is coming type of thing.

01:36:38 - 01:36:39 | Speaker 2:

Oh, so they did give you a notice.

01:36:39 - 01:36:52 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's what this is. So now I have nowhere to put this. I have no idea. Or this is the start to like, hey, we've decided to let you go. And now that your stuff is gone, this is.

01:36:52 - 01:36:57 | Speaker 2:

But aren't there like nobody working there? So shouldn't there be another space that you could go?

01:36:58 - 01:37:06 | Speaker 3:

Well, that's the thing is there's a really, really, and maybe this is what I come back with. There's a really nice office next to mine. I'm in a closet, you guys.

01:37:06 - 01:37:08 | Speaker 2:

Maybe it's a time for an upgrade.

01:37:09 - 01:37:11 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I like that. You know?

01:37:11 - 01:37:17 | Speaker 2:

I mean, you're taking on more responsibility, more job titles. It would only make sense for you to have a bigger office.

01:37:17 - 01:37:28 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I don't understand why they went to mine first, honestly, because it's a very tiny thing. I don't know. Maybe you're right. You could be. But has anybody ever had that where they just come in and just take your, like, they're like, all right, you got to move.

01:37:28 - 01:37:29 | Speaker 4:

You got to get out.

01:37:29 - 01:37:29 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:37:30 - 01:37:34 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. You know, I bet you that that's happened to a lot of people. What's going on? Amy, actually, it happened on TV. What's up?

01:37:35 - 01:37:39 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that episode of The Office where Ryan was literally working out of a closet.

01:37:40 - 01:37:45 | Speaker 4:

Yes. Oh, yeah. That is Mike. Mike is our Ryan in more ways than one.

01:37:45 - 01:37:46 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:37:46 - 01:38:27 | Speaker 4:

Let me just say this about Mike. and we joke about Mike and him being what does he call himself the stepchild the red headed stepchild this guy works his butt off he does and I will go on record to say that Mike is one of the hardest workers that I've ever seen in this business and I also feel like there are sometimes a time where he gets looked over a little bit and I think that in this case It's kind of like, oh, we'll just take that one. Oh, no, no, that belongs to somebody. Oh, who does it belong to? You guys had it forever. It belongs to Mike. Oh, Mike? Mike who?

01:38:29 - 01:38:52 | Speaker 3:

You know? You know, what's funny is I went to a meeting. This was about a month ago where I walked in, and they were waiting for me to come to the meeting. And I was like, oh, that's cool. That's really nice. And I get there, and they go. I hear somebody say, we're waiting on Mike. And somebody goes, Mike who? And I'm like, you've got to be kidding me. The only Mike in the building. You know what that office is probably for? It's probably for Eric. They're going to give it to Eric.

01:38:52 - 01:38:57 | Speaker 2:

Go get him, Eric. Just like Doug, the listener, said. You go get him, Eric.

01:38:58 - 01:38:59 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Kristen?

01:39:00 - 01:39:08 | Speaker 1:

Hi. I was just saying that, Mike, possession is nine-tenths of the law. You should just sit there and just become a squatter.

01:39:08 - 01:39:10 | Speaker 3:

Squatter. The thing is.

01:39:10 - 01:39:13 | Speaker 1:

Don't leave the office. Just stay in there forever.

01:39:13 - 01:39:31 | Speaker 3:

Like part of me is like I know I'm being a baby because I don't use that office like I used to but like all my stuff is in there like it's it's it's been my you know it's I'm not up there 90% of the week so I don't use it that much and I could give it up but also part of me is like that's mine.

01:39:31 - 01:39:31 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:39:31 - 01:39:32 | Speaker 3:

That's mine.

01:39:32 - 01:39:36 | Speaker 2:

It's like a ding. Right. Like it's a ding against you.

01:39:36 - 01:39:38 | Speaker 4:

The pain in the butt is the is the.

01:39:38 - 01:39:40 | Speaker 2:

The moving this crap out of there.

01:39:40 - 01:39:45 | Speaker 4:

The pain. Yeah. It's getting the stuff out of there. It's awful. Uh, what's up, Blair? How you doing?

01:39:46 - 01:39:46 | Unknown:

Good.

01:39:46 - 01:39:47 | Speaker 1:

How are you?

01:39:47 - 01:39:50 | Speaker 4:

Good. Blair says that this happens at her work. What's going on?

01:39:51 - 01:40:04 | Speaker 1:

Um, it happens to teachers all the time. I'm not a teacher yet, but I'm going to school to be a teacher and they'll just give you like a week's notice, like right before. school starts like yeah we need you to move rooms so you have your entire classroom set up and

01:40:04 - 01:40:09 | Speaker 2:

they're like yep you gotta switch room that's so annoying and what what do the kids do the kids

01:40:09 - 01:40:21 | Speaker 1:

don't want to have to go to another room right yeah most of the time they'll do it before school starts yeah so that it's not an issue for like the students but it's it's a pain in the butt for

01:40:21 - 01:40:28 | Speaker 2:

teachers i bet that is i bet you that becomes a royal pain in the butt so yeah and like if schools

01:40:28 - 01:40:44 | Speaker 1:

are like redistricting like recently the schools went from K to 4 and had upper elementary was 5-6 they went back to K-5 for elementary school and 6-8 for middle school and so like the fifth grade teachers had to switch schools based on where they were. Yeah

01:40:44 - 01:40:52 | Speaker 3:

and seeing stuff like that where I'm like see my little office isn't that important like that to me is way more important than my closet office. Mike

01:40:52 - 01:41:12 | Speaker 2:

by the way is definitely being more political right now can you notice this that he's grown as a on-air talent in the past he would have gone in a guns a blazing and said I am not moving out of this office and then gone on the air and said this you've grown up Mike you're smart let us be the bad guys

01:41:12 - 01:41:16 | Speaker 3:

I just know that if I go in and do that it's not going to get the results

01:41:16 - 01:41:26 | Speaker 2:

that I want it just gets you in trouble hold on somebody that will get you in trouble is on the phone line right now Misfit Victor is on with us right now Victor

01:41:27 - 01:41:46 | Speaker 4:

Hey, good morning, guys. And just like that last caller, I'm not a teacher yet either. But, Mike, I saw this coming at the beginning of the week. I mean, you're complaining about not being able to get days off and stuff like that. Then it was complaining about not having a birthday party. I mean, this is just their way of them pushing you out.

01:41:47 - 01:41:49 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you're right.

01:41:50 - 01:42:00 | Speaker 4:

You brought this on yourselves. And can we just – you guys mentioned Sean Stripe. Can we find out why he's wearing homeless man gloves in his TikTok videos? Wait, come on. Victor.

01:42:00 - 01:42:03 | Speaker 2:

Victor, you've got to be seriously. Stop that.

01:42:03 - 01:42:04 | Speaker 4:

No, have you watched the video?

01:42:04 - 01:42:17 | Speaker 2:

It looks good. By the way, Sean and KP are the biggest viewed on our TikToks.

01:42:18 - 01:42:23 | Speaker 4:

Of course. Well, KP is your looks, and Sean, because people are trying to figure out what's wrong with his hands.

01:42:23 - 01:42:23 | Speaker 2:

No.

01:42:23 - 01:42:36 | Speaker 4:

It's like an accident Victor Spike what do you think Spike is not Spike is off today

01:42:36 - 01:42:39 | Speaker 3:

Victor is like a rollercoaster of emotions All the time

01:42:39 - 01:42:46 | Speaker 2:

Victor can I ask you an honest question What do you do that you have this much time To listen to the show as much as you do

01:42:46 - 01:43:07 | Speaker 4:

Well I wake up at 6 o'clock I take my first son to school Then I come home I watched the throwback throwdown. F. Rhonda, by the way, was stealing cottage cheese and water and denying it a couple weeks ago. But anyways, and then now I took my second son to school, and I'm going back home. And I'll be taking my daughter to school here soon.

01:43:07 - 01:43:12 | Speaker 2:

Wow. Can't they all start school at the same time? Doesn't that suck when you have three kids and they all have three different?

01:43:13 - 01:43:19 | Speaker 4:

Three separate buildings, yes. And the best part about it is the bus picks them up eight feet away from my house, but I prefer to drive them.

01:43:20 - 01:43:26 | Speaker 2:

That's very nice of you. All right, well, listen, I've got to move on. We're trying to get Mike back his office. We'll talk to you later, Victor. Thank you.

01:43:27 - 01:43:28 | Speaker 4:

Pray for Sean Strife.

01:43:28 - 01:43:45 | Speaker 2:

All right. He's such a roller coaster. Now I'm going to have to go into a meeting for that one later today. All right, so Mike's office, we've got to get Mike's office back. Mike, we've got to get a picture of you out in front of your office holding a sign or something like that. With an eviction notice. Yeah.

01:43:45 - 01:43:58 | Speaker 3:

You know how even the sign on the door right now that says WSNX, I took off of something else. I think it was like a name plaque or something, and it's a sign that I put on there just to make it an actual office. It's just a closet.

01:43:59 - 01:44:06 | Speaker 2:

You know what you should do? This is how you get back at them because the studio has got to be a bigger square footage than the office.

01:44:06 - 01:44:06 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah.

01:44:06 - 01:44:14 | Speaker 2:

You need to decorate the studio like it would be your office and then put a sign on the outside of it instead of it saying studio and whatever, say Mike's office.

01:44:14 - 01:44:17 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I just put office hours are between 9 and 9.15.

01:44:17 - 01:45:18 | Speaker 2:

I love it. There's your new office. Now you got yourself a better office. You got promoted. All right. Yeah. This is Mojo in the Morning Live. We'll give you a quick update on what we know that's going on in Ohio at Ottawa Hills. And I have to clarify Ohio because I freaked out a couple of our Grand Rapids listeners because there is also an Ottawa Hills. high school in Grand Rapids area, but there's a large police presence right now outside of the school due to what police were saying was an active shooter. And what we're hearing from the school right now is that for precaution. reasons they're actually shutting down all and locking down all of the schools in the area including the elementary school um megan from what we understand right now the students from the high school are actually meeting with their parents at the nearby school so for everybody in

01:45:18 - 01:46:15 | Speaker 3:

detroit and grand rapids ottawa hills is in the middle of toledo and it's like very very very small so like the high school is right next to the elementary is right next to the junior high which is right across the street from St. Ursula, which is a different school. So there's like four schools all within a couple hundred yards of each other. And after the reports this morning, thank God, not only did Ottawa Hills police respond, because Ottawa Hills is technically its own village, I think is what, it's its own part of the city. And Slovenia police responded, Toledo police responded. They are saying now the school is, the administration's there, the superintendent is saying, no students have been harmed they did move the students into the elementary's new gym and parents were in the stadium and i think they were trying to kind of connect meet up with their kids yeah yeah yeah but saint ursula is currently on a lockdown right now too just as a precautionary

01:46:15 - 01:46:28 | Speaker 2:

are the any of the news stations reporting that there are there's any uh truth to to the shooting or to anybody being shot or anything like that? Are there any reports of that right now?

01:46:29 - 01:46:32 | Speaker 3:

Right now, they are only confirming that a student hasn't been shot.

01:46:32 - 01:46:34 | Speaker 2:

A student hasn't been shot.

01:46:34 - 01:46:34 | Speaker 3:

Correct.

01:46:35 - 01:46:36 | Speaker 2:

All right, so that's all we got right now.

01:46:36 - 01:46:39 | Speaker 3:

But they won't confirm if there has been any shootings.

01:46:39 - 01:47:03 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and this is scary. This comes after like a week or so ago, I believe it was in Virginia, where there was that teacher that was shot by a student in school, and the kid was like a young, young kid. It was like six years old, but some scary stuff that is going on. But we will keep to the facts, and we'll keep to giving you updates for our KISS listeners and, of course, for everybody else that is concerned about what's going on.

01:47:38 - 01:48:02 | Speaker 4:

parents never taught you how to do yeah so my grandparents actually are in florida for the winter and this week i had to do something that i have never done in my life i have never taken the trash to the curb on my own wait a second hold on a second you gotta hear me out you don't have to teach anybody how to do that uh i'm gonna get you the part where they didn't teach me how to do

01:48:02 - 01:48:05 | Speaker 2:

something but i just gotta bring this oh okay oh i was gonna say i thought that was what you didn't

01:48:05 - 01:49:02 | Speaker 4:

teach i'm teasing what i'm about to do oh this is radio gold go ahead yeah so uh i have been taking the trash to the curb and i just you know my i have 800 brothers so my mom always made them do it it is so inconvenient to take that not even inconvenient it's just an extra step when you get home from work you're like oh shoot i left the trash can out of the curb i gotta take that in before i pull my car into the garage and blah blah blah and then the other day i get a text from my grandma and she's like you gotta um update the software on the washing machine i'm like what do you mean is it a spaceship like why why do i have to update software on a washing machine there's software on a washing apparently they've got some kind of recall or something where the washer's gonna overheat if i don't do this software update so i haven't been washing my clothes because i'm a chronic procrastinator um so that's another thing wait a second yeah you can't go over that washing machine has software i don't know it's like a smart washer

01:49:02 - 01:49:07 | Speaker 2:

or something oh my god i love it does it also put the clothes in and take them out and hang

01:49:07 - 01:49:10 | Speaker 4:

a robotic hand that picks it up out of the...

01:49:10 - 01:49:13 | Speaker 2:

No, that would be like the most amazing thing ever, but it's wild.

01:49:13 - 01:49:18 | Speaker 3:

Take a picture of this. Can I say something? It's the small things that excite me now.

01:49:18 - 01:49:23 | Speaker 2:

That I don't even do the software updates on my computer that I'm supposed to do all the time.

01:49:23 - 01:49:28 | Speaker 4:

My iPhone is just like sitting there like a brick until it absolutely cannot function anymore until I update it.

01:49:29 - 01:49:29 | Speaker 2:

All right.

01:49:29 - 01:50:33 | Speaker 4:

Anyway, so that's what's kind of been on my mind, but it got me thinking, and I think my FBI and my phone was reading my thoughts, and i got these tiktoks on my for you page teaching me how to load a dishwasher and i'm like you know what i'm not that dense i know how to put a dish in the dishwasher but a lot of people who live on their own for the first time don't know how to do normal household things yeah bro i wasn't taught anything nothing like there are some things they're like my mom was pretty good about making us independent and you get things done and figure things out on our own but there are a lot of people who I live with who don't know how to do certain things like I'm gonna point myself out here my roommate my old roommate from like two years ago had to teach me how to use a thermostat like that simple things like that and I it got me thinking about something that my parents never taught me as a kid which is so dumb I did not know the difference between left and right when I was in middle school my parents forgot to tell me they didn't do a little thing with your hand and I still put my hand up to do L. Really? As a 24-year-old

01:50:33 - 01:50:45 | Speaker 3:

See, mine was the Pledge of Allegiance. You didn't know the Pledge of Allegiance? No, no. That's how I knew that right from left was because I knew my right hand had to go over my heart. Oh, that's so funny. I would always go, Pledge of Allegiance. Okay, right.

01:50:46 - 01:50:55 | Speaker 5:

Oh my God. Well, KP, you even said I knew how to load the dishwasher. I thought I did. There's this woman on TikTok and there's a dad on YouTube.

01:50:55 - 01:50:59 | Speaker 4:

They're coming up on your For You page too, Megan. They are. Maybe they'll teach you to

01:50:59 - 01:51:22 | Speaker 5:

wash your door dad teaches you like handyman things how to tie a tie whatever i'm gonna move right past a kb i'm sick of you and then the woman will like teach you things about like household cleanings how to get stains out of things things that seem so simple and she showed me how to load a dishwasher i have been doing it wrong my entire adult life like some of those hacks are mind-blowing

01:51:22 - 01:51:26 | Speaker 4:

yeah you know you're supposed to wash your dishwasher too you gotta take all the parts

01:51:26 - 01:51:32 | Speaker 5:

out you gotta clean up and your washing machine even once they teach me how to do that one i'm

01:51:32 - 01:52:14 | Speaker 3:

not doing that one i'm not washing my dishwasher so for me when i turn it on so for me and it was when my kids went away to college when joe and jacob went away to college jacob was fine jacob could figure stuff out he was like the kid that would just go to youtube and figure it out himself joe would call his mom or call me every single day to ask for things and he still does to this day And I have to tell you that it's amazing how much we failed as parents, that our kids didn't know, like, the simplest of things. And to me, it's embarrassing to think that, and I don't know, hold on, Chelsea's up right now. It's embarrassing to think that I feel like I've had to reteach them how to tie their shoes.

01:52:14 - 01:52:16 | Speaker 6:

Tie your shoes? Lucy's in third grade.

01:52:16 - 01:52:18 | Speaker 3:

She just learned this year how to tie her shoe. Chelsea.

01:52:19 - 01:52:19 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:52:19 - 01:52:28 | Speaker 3:

Quick question for you. What's the dumbest thing that Joe has had to call you or I up for because he didn't know how to do it because we failed as parents?

01:52:29 - 01:52:30 | Speaker 1:

Oh, how to use a washing machine.

01:52:31 - 01:52:32 | Speaker 3:

That was it?

01:52:32 - 01:52:40 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. When he moved away to college, he FaceTimed me and said, how do I do this? How do I turn this on?

01:52:41 - 01:52:42 | Speaker 3:

Why did you?

01:52:42 - 01:52:47 | Speaker 1:

It was his dorm, so it's like it was a brand new washing machine. It was pretty painful.

01:52:48 - 01:52:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Did we fail as parents? I feel like us and KP's parents have failed us as parents.

01:52:55 - 01:53:07 | Speaker 1:

I did everything for him because he played every sport. Like, he was really, really busy. Sure, yeah. And then so I turned around right after I hung up the phone and I taught Jacob how to do his laundry. Luke knows how to do his laundry. So.

01:53:07 - 01:53:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:53:07 - 01:53:10 | Speaker 1:

I'm sure I failed in other areas, but I realized right then and there.

01:53:11 - 01:53:27 | Speaker 3:

No. The biggest one with Joe, too, is when he moved to Tampa to take that job. and he didn't, he had no clue about financial stuff was the big one. Like we, like he's like a credit card there. I have to actually pay for this credit card. No, it wasn't that. No,

01:53:27 - 01:53:41 | Speaker 1:

he didn't understand that they're the finance charges when he started charging up his credit card because of anyway. Yeah. You got yourself. I love it. Yeah. All right. All right. I'm gonna

01:53:41 - 01:53:46 | Speaker 3:

let you go i love you i'll talk to you later kp where's mama kp we're gonna have to we're gonna

01:53:46 - 01:53:54 | Speaker 4:

have to share stories i know you know what you want me to call her uh you we can absolutely get dialed up quick though yeah you know i'll tell her when i dial her up i'm gonna go dial her

01:53:54 - 01:54:03 | Speaker 3:

okay go dial her adam wants to we're gonna take calls from these people while you're doing that adam hey everybody how you guys doing good what was it that uh that your parents didn't teach you

01:54:03 - 01:54:27 | Speaker 2:

um so it wasn't me when i was in college i lived with a guy and i i went out to buy the groceries And the agreement was that he had to cook the dinner. So I just got some hamburger meat and sloppy Joe mix. And I was like, all right, man, you got to cook. He was like, well, what do I do? And I was like, you don't know how to brown hamburger meat? And he was like, no. So I was like, well, you turn on the stove, you put it in the pan, and you just move it around.

01:54:29 - 01:54:37 | Speaker 5:

But here's the frustrating part about not being taught stuff is that we're the ones that are treated like we're dumb. Like, it's not our fault. We don't know it.

01:54:37 - 01:54:40 | Speaker 3:

You know what, though? Nobody taught me how to cook. Nobody taught me.

01:54:40 - 01:54:52 | Speaker 6:

Exactly. I mean, cooking is, yeah, I'm a terrible, there's one thing I still can't figure out at almost 40 years old. I shudder when I say it. How in the heck do you hard boil an egg?

01:54:52 - 01:54:53 | Speaker 3:

Oh, jeez.

01:54:53 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 6:

Every damn time, it's something different that works or doesn't work. I don't understand. God is screwing with me.

01:55:00 - 01:55:02 | Speaker 7:

With hard-boiling eggs for my whole life. Put it in?

01:55:03 - 01:55:23 | Speaker 2:

No. All right, Adam. No. 100% with you on that, Shannon. No. I've never agreed with you more in my entire life. Yes. They make a thing. This is what Miss Victor got me because I can't hard-boil an egg either. It's called the egg pod. It's a made-for-TV thing. You put it in this giant egg-looking thing. You put it in the microwave. You turn it on for 10 minutes, and it hard-boils eggs perfectly.

01:55:23 - 01:55:25 | Speaker 7:

I don't want one more piece of crap in my kitchen.

01:55:25 - 01:55:37 | Speaker 1:

You have to teach her how to do that. You know what, Adam, I'm with you on this one. I observed my sisters and my mom when they would do things, and that's what got me to do things. Yeah. Nobody taught us.

01:55:38 - 01:55:42 | Speaker 3:

Move the meat around, and it turned brown. Right. I just couldn't get it.

01:55:42 - 01:55:45 | Speaker 1:

It's crazy. Yoshi, what's up? What was it that you didn't know?

01:55:46 - 01:55:47 | Speaker 3:

Yo, what's up, everybody?

01:55:48 - 01:55:48 | Speaker 1:

Hi.

01:55:48 - 01:55:58 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. So I would have to say I learned how to do my taxes all by myself.

01:55:58 - 01:56:01 | Speaker 1:

Okay, now that's a big thing. That is a big one. Because taxes are tough.

01:56:01 - 01:56:14 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. High school, they don't teach us, you know, the important thing. Like when we graduate, what's...

01:56:14 - 01:56:25 | Speaker 1:

Yoshi, they should teach you how to do your taxes, how to balance your bank account, you know, stuff like that.

01:56:25 - 01:56:46 | Speaker 3:

You know, money is very, very important when you're all by yourself and you have no family to help you balance your accounts and just when you get married and stuff. My parents never taught me how to do my own taxes, yet they know how to do it.

01:56:46 - 01:57:00 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's amazing. Can I tell you that Chelsea did have to teach me how to put a bag in a garbage can to rechange it, but it wasn't because I wasn't doing it right. I wasn't doing it the way she wanted me to do it. That's the reason why. Nikki, what's going on?

01:57:01 - 01:57:44 | Speaker 7:

Hey, this is something I failed at as a parent. When my daughter graduated high school, you know, of course, we had the big party. And my mother insisted that we didn't just send out regular thank you cards, but a handwritten note on every single card. And we sat there for a couple hours helping her finish them up. And we got done. And we said, okay, the only thing we forgot was the stamp. So, Abby, you've got to go get stamps and mail them out. Okay, we'll do it, Mom. Well, pretty soon, all these thank you notes keep coming back in the mail. And she had thought that the stamps were the return address labels. Okay. So, like, a hundred different thank you notes went out without, you know, stamps.

01:57:44 - 01:57:45 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh, yeah.

01:57:45 - 01:57:47 | Speaker 7:

We had to redo every one of them.

01:57:48 - 01:57:53 | Speaker 1:

We failed. Failed as parents. How about Maddie? Maddie, what did you have to teach your roommate?

01:57:53 - 01:58:08 | Speaker 6:

how to do hi yeah so it was our junior year of college at michigan state and she had to call her mom and ask her mom how to warm up a can of campbell's soup come on come on kb your mug you

01:58:08 - 01:58:12 | Speaker 1:

turn your mic off there saying what uh kb you know how to do that right i know how to do that

01:58:12 - 01:58:18 | Speaker 2:

yes i'm sorry my god so you have to learn one time though that you can't put metal in a microwave No, that is true.

01:58:19 - 01:58:25 | Speaker 7:

Mine was with an Arby's Jr. And I threw that sucker with the foil wrapper in the microwave and learned it real quick.

01:58:25 - 01:58:38 | Speaker 4:

I did that prank on my mom where you put the plastic cutting board in the oven and it melts. And I sent her a picture of that. I didn't do it, but there was a picture. And she did believe me for a hot minute over text.

01:58:38 - 01:58:41 | Speaker 1:

So mom is on the phone with us right now. Mama KP, good morning.

01:58:42 - 01:58:44 | Speaker 5:

Morning, Mojo and the gang. How are you?

01:58:44 - 01:58:58 | Speaker 1:

Good. Now, I will say this about your daughter. Your daughter is the oldest in the family, and I know that she's, you know, had to bear a lot of responsibilities, which is good. But there are some things, though, that we forgot to teach her.

01:58:59 - 01:59:01 | Speaker 5:

I don't think so. She just wasn't paying attention.

01:59:01 - 01:59:08 | Speaker 4:

I was going to say that. It's not that my mom didn't teach me. It was probably that I wasn't listening when she was teaching it.

01:59:08 - 01:59:09 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

01:59:09 - 01:59:37 | Speaker 5:

I had a hardcore list, and we did a good rotation, and I am an equal employment opportunity mama. The boys all know how to cook. Kristen, not so much. All the boys take out the trash. I told the girls to take out the trash. Sometimes they do it. Sometimes they forget. Kristen was just busy. KP, he was busy, busy all the time. She had sports. She had theater. She had her own nonprofit organization. She had school. She had honors clubs. So she just was never there to do it.

01:59:38 - 01:59:40 | Speaker 4:

Really? I threw my trash out at school.

01:59:40 - 01:59:50 | Speaker 1:

So, okay. Okay, so she was the kid that was the smart kid that, you know, did all that good stuff in school, and then the boys had to bear the responsibilities of picking up after her.

01:59:50 - 01:59:54 | Speaker 5:

I guess. I guess grunt labor for the dumb ones and then the, I don't know.

01:59:54 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 1:

Which one in the family, and be honest, out of all your kids, which one in your family is ready?

02:00:00 - 02:00:01 | Speaker 3:

to be on their own the soonest?

02:00:03 - 02:00:18 | Speaker 1:

I thought it was going to be Emily, but then she came back and, I don't know, she can't feed herself. She just eats salad and soup. You know what? Honestly, it's probably going to be my 7-year-old Alex. I was going to say.

02:00:18 - 02:00:28 | Speaker 3:

I was going to say, yeah, that's funny. All right, well, you be good to KP. Don't be mad at her for putting you on the spot and calling you up to go.

02:00:28 - 02:00:31 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I know. It comes with the territory. It's all good.

02:00:31 - 02:00:34 | Speaker 3:

Have a good one. Can I be honest with you, Mama KP?

02:00:35 - 02:00:36 | Speaker 1:

No, lie to me, Mojo. What?

02:00:37 - 02:00:54 | Speaker 3:

If we recorded our Monday meeting, I was talking to Tony about this. You should have seen your daughter owning that meeting and running the show. Tony and I were like proud papas when she was going through. Basically, she was telling everybody to show up on time, start doing your job.

02:00:54 - 02:00:56 | Speaker 5:

She cracked the whip for sure.

02:00:56 - 02:01:03 | Speaker 3:

Oh, it was unbelievable. You know what she was? She was you the first day I met you. She was like, yeah, I was like, oh, where is that?

02:01:03 - 02:01:09 | Speaker 1:

Never forget, never forget, I am the original OG KP. That's right.

02:01:09 - 02:01:11 | Speaker 3:

Oh, shit. I forgot. All right.

02:01:11 - 02:01:14 | Speaker 1:

Keep going, keep going, girl.

02:01:14 - 02:01:15 | Speaker 3:

We'll talk to you later. Take care.

02:01:15 - 02:01:16 | Speaker 1:

Bye.

02:01:16 - 02:01:29 | Speaker 3:

Bye. Producer KP, welcome to this show. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. All right. Shannon with the Dirty on the 30s, the last one of the week. Shannon, what's going on?

02:01:29 - 02:01:34 | Speaker 5:

Yes, well, it was the news that I think shocked just about everybody yesterday afternoon.

02:01:34 - 02:01:46 | Speaker 2:

We have breaking news. It is sad news to report. Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter and only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, once married to Michael Jackson, the Nicolas Cage has died. She was just 54 years old. She'd been hospitalized for cardiac arrest.

02:01:46 - 02:02:25 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, she was rushed to the hospital after her housekeeper found her unresponsive at her home in Calabasas. Her ex-husband Danny Keogh just happened to be there when this was all happening and he performed CPR on her until paramedics arrived and took over. They did administer at least one dose of epinephrine during resuscitation efforts, enough to give her a pulse again. So there were signs of life as she was on her way to the hospital, but when she was there, she coded multiple times and ultimately passed. Somebody who saw Lisa just a few days ago, CNN's Chloe Mellis, was talking about how she didn't really look that great at the Golden Globes. And if you were watching, you may have agreed with this.

02:02:25 - 02:02:44 | Speaker 4:

I was at the Golden Globes. I was at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in the ballroom, seated just a few tables behind Lisa Marie and her mother, Priscilla. And I immediately thought to myself when I saw her that she just didn't look like her usual glowing, bubbly, happy self.

02:02:44 - 02:03:03 | Speaker 5:

She looked a bit somber. Friends and family, by the way, paying tribute this morning, including Rita Wilson, who spent time with the Presleys during the promo tour for Elvis, alongside obviously her husband, Tom Hanks, who was in the movie. She wrote a tribute sharing that she and her husband's hearts are broken with the sudden and shocking passing.

02:03:04 - 02:03:27 | Speaker 3:

You know, I was reading her social media yesterday, and I saw that social media post, the last one that she put up, which was a message about her son who committed suicide. And all I kept thinking to myself the whole time was that here she is. She's going through the heartbreak. And I can't imagine as a parent ever losing your child, especially losing your child to suicide.

02:03:27 - 02:03:28 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:03:29 - 02:03:44 | Speaker 3:

And I think of the fact that she died of a broken heart, you know. And I think of her now, you know, going to heaven and reuniting with her dad, but her also being with her son. Yeah, it's amazing.

02:03:46 - 02:04:30 | Speaker 5:

I love it. I know a lot of people do. Miley Cyrus dropping her brand new single. It's called Flowers, along with a very racy music video for it. And the day that this single came out was very strategic because today it just so happens to be her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth. 33rd birthday and this song is absolutely about their relationship the song's lyrics alluding to her failed relationship with Liam and so many people said when we previewed this song for you last week they're like it sounds like another song it sounds like another song it sounds like Bruno Mars when I was your man well very interesting because Liam Hemsworth apparently sent her that Bruno Mars song when they got divorced so this song is a response to that

02:04:30 - 02:04:46 | Speaker 3:

which i just think is real spiteful so were they what was the breakup because i'm i try to think back of when they they divorced or you know didn't they separate and then get back together

02:04:46 - 02:04:50 | Speaker 5:

and then get divorced or am i making that timeline up i kind of thought that i can't remember and i

02:04:50 - 02:05:02 | Speaker 3:

thought it was like a mutual thing where they weren't good maybe there was something else i don't know i don't know um like she's still holding that's holding on for a while because That was a while. It was a while ago that they were together. You know?

02:05:02 - 02:05:12 | Speaker 2:

Have you watched the video yet? No. Why? What is she? She's hot in the video. Is she? Yeah. Yeah. Reese is shaking his head. Yeah. Flowers, by the way. I forgot about this. The first single off of Miley's new album, Endless Summer Vacation.

02:05:12 - 02:05:14 | Speaker 3:

I should have bought you flowers.

02:05:18 - 02:05:21 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I mean, literally, her song is our response to this song.

02:05:25 - 02:05:30 | Speaker 1:

Wow. That's amazing

02:05:30 - 02:05:37 | Speaker 3:

We'll play the whole song coming up In 25 minutes or so Okay so stick around for that

02:05:37 - 02:05:57 | Speaker 2:

In a preview of our Upcoming interview on CBS Sunday morning That's obviously airing on Sunday morning Pam Anderson was asked What she would like people to know About the infamous sex tape That was filmed in the early days of her marriage To Tommy Lee and then stolen and distributed without her permission.

02:05:57 - 02:06:11 | Speaker 1:

It was stolen property. That was two crazy naked people in love. I mean, we were naked all the time and filming each other and being silly, but those tapes were not meant for anybody else to see. And I've not seen it to this day. It was very hurtful.

02:06:13 - 02:07:01 | Speaker 2:

London fans at a concert by the 1975 last night were absolutely stunned when all of a sudden their girl, Taylor Swift, walked out onto the stage. You can see that video on the dirty page at mojointhemorning.com. And lastly, this story is trending today. A deceased UK woman hired a flash mob to dance to this song right here at her own funeral. You know what song this is, right?

02:07:02 - 02:07:03 | Speaker 3:

Another one bites the dust.

02:07:03 - 02:07:40 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. So this video is going viral because there's a flash mob at a funeral. A friend of the woman who died said she wanted everyone to remember her funeral, but not for a sad reason. So she made her final day A fun one Her name's Sandy Wood She reportedly passed away from tongue cancer But despite her tragic death She wanted to go out with a bang So she enlisted the help of the dance group Called The Flaming Feathers Ten people to flash mob Her own funeral She planned her own funeral You know what's interesting

02:07:40 - 02:07:59 | Speaker 3:

Is that they say that Her family or her or I don't know, before she died, tried to get multiple organizations to do it, and none of them would do it because they thought it was the most tasteless thing ever. Yeah. They didn't think it was funny or they didn't think that it was appropriate until she found the right one. That was the way that she was able to do it.

02:08:00 - 02:08:04 | Speaker 2:

For all of today's Dirty, you can check that out on the Dirty page at mojointhewinning.com.

02:08:05 - 02:09:50 | Speaker 3:

This is the home of the Dirty on the 30. Fault Cams and War of the Roses. Mojo in the Morning. We do have some breaking news on the story that we were talking about this morning. The active shooter situation in Ohio. And we're going to give you more details on that right now. There was reports of an active shooter at Ottawa Hills High School in Ohio. And our KISS listeners were great at making sure that they just gave us facts of what was going on when kids were being evacuated from the school and being reunited with their parents. We do have some more information on this right now. What we're hearing right now is that there was a threat against a teacher and they did a sweep of the school but found no weapons and that no one was shot. And the kids, by the way, are being sent home for the weekend. So that's good news to know that because there was some reports initially there was no students that were shot. And then, of course, then there was people obviously wondering if there was no students that were shot, then, you know, what exactly was happening. So so there there was no weapon. There was no gun, you know, somebody shooting anything. There was nothing. Right. Yeah. So but a threat, which is a scary situation we've had in the Detroit area, Richmond schools recently in our area where. And then, of course, there was the Oak Park situation where they had a high school basketball game and a shooting that took place. But there's been a number of schools where there's been a number of threats and threats that have been posted on social media, but also threats that have been made verbally in school. And a lot of schools that have had to evacuate lately. And this is just this is one of those right now.

02:09:50 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 2:

It was terrifying. But this is truly the best case scenario. Like, it's so weird. All morning, I've been sitting here trying to find out what's going on.

02:10:00 - 02:10:45 | Speaker 1:

you're just panicking and your chest is tight and you're trying to keep it together and you're waiting till you get the actual facts and rumor spreads like wildfire so every parent is talking to their kids and getting bits and pieces of rumors that they've been hearing through the hallways and you're hearing what might be going on so to hear this from not only the superintendent but also the head of the ottawa hills police department and they have not given us the full information on what that threat was or to what teacher um they said that more information will be coming out soon, but that they were not comfortable giving all of the details yet. But just hearing that everybody... And then the other scary part was hearing well, students are okay. And that's great, but it didn't feel complete. So finally hearing that everybody is okay is just like... That's good. You can breathe.

02:10:46 - 02:10:50 | Speaker 5:

02:21:14 - 02:21:25 | Speaker 1:

This is Mojo in the Morning. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:21:25 - 02:21:26 | Speaker 4:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

02:21:26 - 02:22:25 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning Lydia you gotta come in studio on this one here Because so today's like a Today's like a mom's day Where moms Moms need to be guests on the Mojo in the Morning show Because We had KP's mom on with us I think we're gonna need to have Lydia's mom on with us too Lydia's mom's like the sweetest In the world The thing that's funny for those who don't know who Lydia is Lydia is one of our producers here, associate producer of the show. She also is director of our Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish and helps us with so many great things. She works on our promotions team here. She's got like a million different hats that she has. But most importantly with Lydia, Lydia has the greatest parents in the world. But she wants to call out her mom for something that I guarantee you as one of our listeners, you do. And Lydia thinks it's rude. What is it, Lydia?

02:22:25 - 02:23:02 | Speaker 4:

It's so rude. So me and my mom were shopping at Target a couple of days ago. And as we were leaving, you know, we were putting the groceries in the car together. And I kind of gave her the reins on taking the cart back to the cart rack. She was pushing the cart. I got in the car. I'm watching her and I'm seeing her lift the cart up on a curb. And I'm like, what is she doing? What is she doing? So I rolled down the window and I'm like, you're going to put that back, right? And she's like, no, it's fine. They can put it back. And I'm like, mom, that is so rude. She's like, no, it's not. She gets in the car And then I get out of the car And put the cart back myself Good for you I felt so bad

02:23:02 - 02:23:07 | Speaker 1:

First off, I got a lot of things I need to say to this Number one

02:23:07 - 02:23:08 | Speaker 4:

Tell me you put the cart back

02:23:08 - 02:23:16 | Speaker 1:

Number one Why are you making your mom have to put the cart back in the rack You have younger legs

02:23:16 - 02:23:17 | Speaker 4:

That's true

02:23:17 - 02:23:23 | Speaker 1:

You should be doing it Hold on, Lydia's mom's on the phone with us right now Wow, I can't believe she would call you out

02:23:23 - 02:23:43 | Speaker 4:

Let me send you how she I am disappointed in you, Mom. Wait, what? Oh, Mom. Wow, you are one of those people. She is not going to let this go. No, I'm not. She was so nervous when I told her I told you guys. She was so nervous. She's like, they're going to think I'm a bad person. Wait, I do.

02:23:44 - 02:23:46 | Speaker 2:

Totally changed my perception of you.

02:23:47 - 02:23:54 | Speaker 1:

I thought you were a lovely woman. How close was the cart corral to where you guys were? I'll make a judgment after that

02:23:54 - 02:24:01 | Speaker 4:

It was literally five steps Mom wasn't it Oh it certainly was Miss Girl

02:24:01 - 02:24:04 | Speaker 1:

Hold on Lydia Lydia just sent us a picture of this

02:24:04 - 02:24:07 | Speaker 4:

Look how she positioned it up on the curb

02:24:07 - 02:24:15 | Speaker 1:

You know what though I give you credit on this As a nice human being You could have just left it in a spot Where a person would get dinged in their car

02:24:15 - 02:24:20 | Speaker 2:

It took more effort to get it on the curb Than it would have to just push it into the cart corral

02:24:20 - 02:24:22 | Speaker 4:

Right she literally pitched it up there

02:24:22 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 3:

with her foot like you know she just had it all up on there all right are you done lydia because now it's my turn okay yeah go you go your turn okay so i saw a lady in a car that was getting ready to turn and parked like kind of right next to us so i took the cart put it on the corner of the curb stuck it in the grass and said lydia she will go grab that cart and walk right into target She'll be fine. She's not going to go walk down to the carousel to get her shopping cart. So you were just trying to grab a fresh cart inside the store. You were just trying to be nice.

02:25:00 - 02:25:03 | Speaker 6:

And give her a new cart. Mom. Thank you, Mom, bro. Come on.

02:25:04 - 02:25:19 | Speaker 1:

You know what I love, by the way? My favorite people are the people who will see you with a cart, and as you're going to the cart corral will go, you know what, I'll take that up for you. And I'm like, oh, you are the sweetest, kindest people ever. That is so nice. I blame that woman for not walking by you and saying, can I take that cart up for you?

02:25:19 - 02:25:23 | Speaker 2:

Right. You just want Dolma. That is why you're sucking up to her.

02:25:23 - 02:25:29 | Speaker 6:

That makes me feel bad. Like, that's someone's job. Now they're going to have to, you know, I'll play a card game across the parking lot.

02:25:29 - 02:25:36 | Speaker 1:

Lydia's mom recently made my family a big pot of domo, which is like stuffed grape leaves and things.

02:25:36 - 02:25:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I didn't get any, which is why I am not defending you.

02:25:38 - 02:25:41 | Speaker 1:

We ate it for weeks. I'm never going to tell her that she's done anything wrong.

02:25:41 - 02:25:41 | Speaker 2:

Get her.

02:25:42 - 02:25:46 | Speaker 1:

She's my favorite. Spencer wants to say something. What's that, Spencer?

02:25:46 - 02:25:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh, boy. Yeah, Lydia, you need to respect your elder. At least she put it up on the curb so it didn't roll into a car. I would have left it in the middle of the parking lot.

02:25:55 - 02:25:55 | Speaker 1:

That's true.

02:25:55 - 02:25:58 | Speaker 6:

I'll give her that Spencer

02:25:58 - 02:26:27 | Speaker 1:

That is true she actually was kind enough To make sure that you know Everything was safe right and I was looking At where you put it Spencer From the picture it was just Next to the first parking spot is that your car Right in the first parking spot yes Way to get a first spot at Target That's unbelievable And I also will notice this too It was night time which means It's dark and for safety reasons Do you want your mom to get carjacked in a parking lot of a Target?

02:26:27 - 02:26:32 | Speaker 6:

I could see the car wreck. Like I said, it was five steps. I could have easily jumped out of the car and rescued her if she needed it.

02:26:33 - 02:26:51 | Speaker 1:

Lacey, what's up? It's Majo in the morning. Hold on, Mom, real quick. Let me grab Lacey and then I'll let you speak to Lydia. You've got to give it to her, okay? You're not, by the way, young lady. I'm talking not to you, Lacey. I'm talking to Lydia. You're never too old to get punished by your mom. Go ahead, Lacey.

02:26:51 - 02:27:06 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I do what you said I take carts from people And pick them up with me And when I go to Total Wine Because they're always so attended I go in there to pick up orders for DoorDash I go to the Corral Grab a whole line of them And pick them in with me

02:27:06 - 02:27:13 | Speaker 1:

What a guy Give him an applause Gentlemen Right there Thank you By the way, say hi to Lydia's mom Lacey

02:27:13 - 02:27:16 | Speaker 3:

Hi Hi

02:27:16 - 02:27:18 | Speaker 1:

Hello

02:27:18 - 02:27:20 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, she's a kind one Hi, how are you

02:27:20 - 02:27:27 | Speaker 1:

Don't you want her to give Lydia a little piece of her mind? Go ahead, Mom. Give her a piece of your mind.

02:27:27 - 02:27:36 | Speaker 6:

Okay. So this is what I have to say. Lydia, do not make any plans this evening. We are going grocery shopping, and you are going to put my cart right there.

02:27:36 - 02:27:37 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

02:27:38 - 02:27:45 | Speaker 6:

You got it, Mom. Right posted up, right on that curb for you. Right by your cart. Okay. Yep.

02:27:45 - 02:27:51 | Speaker 1:

Actually, Reese said he'll go grocery shopping with you because he's hoping you might buy him a few. Yeah, what time?

02:27:52 - 02:27:54 | Speaker 6:

Come on, Reese. Let's go. Let's go.

02:27:54 - 02:27:58 | Speaker 1:

Reese, you would never do this to your mom. You're nice. I would totally do this.

02:27:58 - 02:27:59 | Unknown:

Oh, thank you.

02:28:00 - 02:28:01 | Speaker 6:

Coming to my dear friends.

02:28:01 - 02:28:08 | Speaker 1:

Your mom's brought you into this world. How dare you guys. And she can take you out. With a shopping cart. Leah, what's up?

02:28:10 - 02:28:26 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so I worked at a grocery store, and while I was in there, I watched not once but twice someone not put their cart back and then hit my car with the cart because it rolled down the parking lot and hit my car not once but twice.

02:28:27 - 02:28:34 | Speaker 1:

How did you get through on the phone line? That's not nice. We were making Lydia look bad on this one. Now you just made Lydia's mom look bad. What's up, Amanda?

02:28:36 - 02:28:47 | Speaker 5:

For some of the workers, that's the only break they get is to go out and get carts. They get away from the register or stocking. They need some fresh air, so some of them don't mind going out and getting carts.

02:28:47 - 02:28:52 | Speaker 2:

I'm taking it that you are a person that leaves your cart right in the middle of the parking space that I really want.

02:28:53 - 02:29:07 | Speaker 5:

No, I take one in, and then I leave it off to the side, but I'm done. But I've been told, I've worked at a lot of retail stores and grocery stores, and I know a lot of people, and sometimes it's the only break they can get is if they need to go out and get carts.

02:29:07 - 02:29:08 | Speaker 1:

See that?

02:29:08 - 02:29:14 | Speaker 2:

Well, either way, they have to go get carts because they have to go get them in the corral and bring them in.

02:29:14 - 02:29:25 | Speaker 1:

But they like to also go out there and have a cigarette, too, every now and again. See, the mom is doing the Lord's work, really. That's right. Always. All right, Lydia, be nice to your mom. You want to say goodbye to her or tell her you love her or anything like that?

02:29:25 - 02:29:29 | Speaker 3:

I love you, Mom. I'm so sorry. I love you, Dad. I'll love you.

02:29:29 - 02:29:38 | Speaker 1:

We love you. Smart-ass daughter. I thought only sons were like this. I didn't realize daughters were so mouthy with their parents.

02:29:38 - 02:29:40 | Speaker 6:

Mother, don't you need a daughter?

02:29:40 - 02:29:53 | Speaker 1:

I do. Chelsea's already said that. Chelsea's already said that she would adopt Lydia and KP. She loves these guys because she's like, man, being surrounded around these girls, it's so much nicer than the boys that we have, you know?

02:29:55 - 02:29:55 | Speaker 5:

How about this?

02:29:56 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 1:

Why don't we do this? I'll trade you. This is like a trade, like a...

02:30:00 - 02:30:36 | Speaker 2:
