This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:02:30 - 00:02:33 | Unknown:

It's showtime.

00:03:00 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 2:

good morning welcome to the mojo in the morning show hope you had a good weekend It is nice to have you with us this morning as we kick off a new week of shows. Good prizes up for grabs. More Taylor Swift tickets for you. More chances for you to win. Keep listening. We'll have those for you at 630 and 930. Plus, tickets to go and see future Kodak Black, Jeezy, at our big show for our sister station, FM 98, WJLB. And I think this might be like the last week of qualifying for free groceries. I could be wrong. Maybe we've got another week of that. But still, I hope it goes on forever. It's like $250 in free groceries and then qualify for $10,000. Keep listening for that. I'm just kind of getting situated in here. Yeah, I left on Friday, and, you know, the studio that we use, not a lot of people use this studio. You know, it used to be that, you know, your midday show would come in, but because we stay so late, you know, we're usually here until like 12, 30 or so. Sean Streif, who does middays for us in Detroit, will use another studio. And then, you know, our afternoon night shows are from other cities. uh joe show from tampa and ej from los angeles but i come in here and it's a freaking mess and i and i think it's because it's the tiktok studio for uh for uh kp and uh

00:05:00 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 1:

And Sean, stuff's missing. I can't move. It's like, stop. All right. When we move into this new studio, if you guys behave the same way, I'm going to have a problem. We're going to have to figure something out. Maybe we're going to have to find a green screen for you guys where it's like a fake studio for you to do your TikToks from.

00:05:18 - 00:05:19 | Speaker 3:

I think it's a ghost.

00:05:20 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 1:

It's a ghost? Is that what it is? Listen, I love your TikToks, by the way. I do love them. And I don't want you to stop them or get discouraged doing them. But every time I come in, it's like a button's wrong. Our Voices Geyser machine still is not the same. I still can't figure out the setting. Somebody moved a setting on there, and I don't understand why anybody would need to touch a machine unless they've accidentally bumped up against it or something. I don't know. Could that be the possibility? Do you think that maybe, and I'm not blaming it on Gina, the cleaning lady, but do you think that somebody, maybe she was dusting it? Or do you think that you moved it or Sean moved it doing their TikToks?

00:05:58 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 3:

No, I genuinely think this place is haunted. Is it? And I think a ghost is doing it.

00:06:02 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 1:

Well, it could be. It could very well be. It could be the ghost of past people that worked here at the radio station that are coming back to get us.

00:06:14 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 3:

Could you imagine if a ghost came back and that's what they did? Right. Like all the things a ghost could do when they touched the voice machine. I was thinking the ghosts of past staff members would be very mad, disgruntled, and angry, and, like, they would do a lot more than that.

00:06:27 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 1:

I'll show you next time somebody calls up to tell you a confession or comment on a War of the Roses.

00:06:36 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 3:

Change your setting from 3-1-2 to 7-1-8.

00:06:44 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 1:

But, yeah, I don't know. Listen, I do want my – I was talking to Fred from Chicago yesterday about this. I said to him, I go, hey, does anybody else use your studio? And he said, no. He said, it's just ours. And I go, oh, because I think they're going to let – ooh, that was breakfast. That was my egg bite. Could you taste it over there? A little bit. Fred told me that nobody uses it, but I think that they're going to have multiple people that are going to use our studio. So I think that even the afternoon shows on our sister stations and stuff are going to be using it.

00:07:17 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 2:

Must be nice to be Fred. Fred, I know.

00:07:23 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 1:

I almost killed myself yesterday.

00:07:25 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 2:

Dang, what happened?

00:07:27 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 1:

Did you guys go out at all in that snow in the morning?

00:07:31 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 2:

I did, but it wasn't that bad. I only went about five minutes away.

00:07:34 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so I became our neighborhood DoorDash driver. I went to go get Starbucks and McDonald's for neighbors because if you went on to DoorDash to try to order something, it was like a two-hour wait because of the weather was so bad and an upcharge, which it should have been. And actually, I should have charged big time. So I go out to go and buy stuff, and I'm driving through Waterford. And where I live, there's all these little windy roads as you're going around Elizabeth Lake and stuff like this. and I slid three times into like curbs or three times into the intersection as the light changes because I was and I was driving fairly slow like the the actual speed limit was you know 40 miles an hour I was probably going 30 or so I probably should have been going even less than that but it was really scary the the driving and the snow was really slippery and there was a lot of ice and then did you notice how the snow became really wet snow later in the day yeah and then that freezes

00:08:39 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 2:

and it's all yeah terrifying 100 coming in this morning i couldn't believe how many cars were off

00:08:45 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 1:

the roads in the ditches yeah it was insane well it's because people like me they're you know they're out getting door dash deliveries for neighbors and stuff like that i don't know why i decided i don't know why i was deciding that i was going to be the nice guy that was going to do this whole thing, but I really wanted something, and I didn't want anybody else going out.

00:09:07 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, what is this nice streak that you made recently? It's weird.

00:09:11 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 3:

It's something. I almost killed myself, but shoveling. So I was like, it was that heavy, wet snow, and then once I cleared the driveway off, it all melted, so I thought, oh, good, we're all in the clear for tomorrow. It's all gone. And then whatever happened overnight froze, and they didn't treat the roads in my neighborhood, so it was like an ice rink this morning.

00:09:29 - 00:09:40 | Speaker 1:

And, you know, they tell you that if you're over 40 years old and you're shoveling a snow, you're at high risk of getting a heart attack.

00:09:40 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but I'm also at high risk because all I did was lay on the couch all weekend, so I need to get some exercise.

00:09:44 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

But I see that, and every time I see that, that's my excuse to Chelsea that I can't go out there. Because they say men are at high risk, and I'm like, I'm sorry, Chels. Send Luke, or you might have to go out there and do a little shoveling. I'll go get the Starbucks and McDonald's and kill myself.

00:10:00 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 3:

that way yeah the other thing that that i noticed in listeners you'll have to tell us if uh you do this i'm sorry let me get the shovel stuff off um i started noticing yesterday that it's back because you know we haven't had snow at all it's been virtually the like the the driest january that we've ever had and there hasn't been any snow but yesterday it is back like popular demand by popular demand the trend that started a few years back and you probably see people doing this on social media and stuff the trend of putting people your windshield wipers up are you a person that does this do you put your windshield wiper straight up and and make sure

00:10:48 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 1:

that they don't get stuck in by the snow i do if it's an ice storm coming if i know it's gonna be a lot of ice that they might stick to the windshield i feel like and i don't and i feel

00:10:57 - 00:11:19 | Speaker 3:

like i'm the only person that doesn't because if you drive by you see people do this and this great debate has happened before where people will say that it's not necessarily good for your windshield wipers to do that i don't care you just don't want to have to it's not good for it they say that it's they say that there's some kind of a spring problem that could happen i don't know how much

00:11:19 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 5:

is it going to cost to replace windshield wiper springs no no it's not the blade that you're

00:11:24 - 00:11:29 | Speaker 3:

replacing it's the whole thing yeah i don't know i could never had to replace that way too

00:11:29 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 2:

responsible for me i'm usually the person with all the snow on the top of my car like flying off on the highway you're that guy oh i hate you i hate you so much do you also drive with just the

00:11:41 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 3:

little bit that you could see out and it's like you're looking at a pair of binoculars because

00:11:45 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 2:

that's all you could see is for your eyes yes one time in high school i had to roll down my window And stick my head on the side Because I couldn't see I forgot my scraper

00:11:54 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 3:

KP I'm like that too And I have no patience I'll try to like Warm up the car for a little bit But I always feel like The car warms up faster

00:12:03 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 2:

If I'm driving fast Yeah See I'll scrape it But I'll use like a credit card So I'll have a credit card size Scrape on my windshield And that's it Like that's all I can see out of

00:12:13 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 3:

And then the next time

00:12:14 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 2:

You break it You try to use that credit card Mike does it work No So I'm not fixing the Windshield wipers anyways

00:12:19 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 3:

Yeah

00:12:20 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 2:

It's like ant.

00:12:21 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 3:

844 Mojo Live, 844-665-6548. Okay, so here you go. Leaving your wipers up, according to this AutoZone, and we all know, get in the zone.

00:12:35 - 00:12:36 | Speaker 5:

AutoZone. Thank you. I got you.

00:12:36 - 00:12:59 | Speaker 3:

Leaving your wiper blades up will not cause damage to your wiper arms. Springs and the metal used for them are designed to handle the stress of being upright overnight. When upright, a spring will not reach its yield strength or dynamic range, says the— Huh? Well, this is what autos—they're very smart at AutoZone. They've figured this whole thing out.

00:12:59 - 00:13:07 | Speaker 1:

That's Big Wiper telling you they want to replace more wipers. Shut up. Big Wiper. They don't want you to do that because they want you to come in because you broke your wipers.

00:13:07 - 00:13:24 | Speaker 3:

But I think they're telling you that it's okay. And they say the proactive measure is only dangerous on windy days that the arm could snap off from the force of being up and the ice on the bottom when you try to put it back down, according to the site.

00:13:24 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 5:

Now, I don't know if it's BS, but I heard that you're not supposed to do it because if it slams back down, it can shatter your window with how cold it is.

00:13:32 - 00:13:38 | Speaker 3:

Well, that's the thing I will do sometimes, and I will slam it so that the ice comes off of the little blade. Yeah, I do that too.

00:13:38 - 00:13:42 | Speaker 5:

But also, I want an excuse to be late to work, and a shattered window is a great excuse.

00:13:43 - 00:13:59 | Speaker 3:

Listen, if your window shatters from that, there's problems because there's other stuff driving on these highways. Here's an interesting thing. They do say don't put plastic bags over your wiper blades, that that's not a good idea, that they could be frozen stuck to it.

00:13:59 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 1:

Who puts plastic bags? Yeah. Yeah. So goofy.

00:14:03 - 00:14:14 | Speaker 3:

I don't want my wipers to get wet. um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 what's up amy hi good morning good morning what's going on

00:14:15 - 00:14:38 | Speaker 4:

not only do i put my wipers up but i have a cover that i put over my windshield as well because i have zero time for the bs in the morning really where do you find one of these covers that's an interesting thing i got mine on qbc actually i think i had got one for a christmas gift and then i wore that one out so i re-bought one for myself it's a life changer i

00:14:38 - 00:14:44 | Speaker 3:

use it at work when it's what's it called is it called a windshield cover um let me see i think

00:14:44 - 00:14:49 | Speaker 4:

you can just if you just type in one windshield snow cover it'll come up there's like little

00:14:49 - 00:14:53 | Speaker 1:

straps that hook around your mirrors yeah i saw those before and i always wondered if they worked

00:14:53 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 4:

or not oh i use it i have used it every winter for probably seven years and then where do you put it

00:15:00 - 00:15:01 | Speaker 2:

Why don't you take it off in the morning?

00:15:01 - 00:15:04 | Speaker 3:

You just roll it off, and it can lay in your back seat or in your trunk.

00:15:04 - 00:15:20 | Speaker 5:

You throw down your kids in the back seat. You know what is interesting is the worst part of being a boat owner is trying to put covers back on boats. Right. I don't know if I want to be putting it on my windshield. Kaylee, what's up?

00:15:21 - 00:15:26 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Good morning, guys. So KP called me, and I texted, and I do the same exact thing as KP.

00:15:26 - 00:15:30 | Speaker 5:

Oh, she was looking for a little company. Yeah. She wanted somebody to stick it up for her.

00:15:31 - 00:15:42 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah, 100%. I feel it. That previous caller was like, I don't have time for that BS in the morning. Well, I just don't have time for that BS. I'm not spending money on a windshield cover. I'm just going to drive with the snow, you know? Ain't nobody got time for that.

00:15:42 - 00:15:46 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I get it. We're cursing behind you.

00:15:46 - 00:15:48 | Speaker 5:

Kaylee, have a great day.

00:15:48 - 00:15:49 | Speaker 3:

You too, guys.

00:15:49 - 00:15:51 | Speaker 5:

Bye. What's up, DJ?

00:15:52 - 00:16:05 | Speaker 6:

What's going on? But I wanted to call and tell you that you're supposed to leave the wipers off the windshield so they don't breathe to the windshield, you know, because peasants like myself can't afford vehicles with the heated wiper option. That's true.

00:16:06 - 00:16:10 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. So that's the smart. You're the smart one.

00:16:10 - 00:16:21 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. And it's perfectly OK to do that. I promise you. You won't hurt anything and they won't come slamming down. That's why those springs are in there the way that they are. They have high enough tolerances to keep them up.

00:16:21 - 00:16:30 | Speaker 2:

We have to say the one thing we have to say every year. You don't pour hot water on your windshield. Don't pour boiling water. Yeah, that's not going to melt it. That's going to shatter.

00:16:30 - 00:16:35 | Speaker 3:

My brother did that one time while I was driving. He reached out the window and did it while I was driving.

00:16:36 - 00:16:51 | Speaker 5:

Hey, DJ, question for you. Later today when the show is over with and there's ice and snow on Megan's Jeep, should Spike, Reese, myself, Mike be gentlemen, and should we clean her window off of her or is she on her own?

00:16:51 - 00:17:03 | Speaker 6:

I think Megan is a very strong and independent young lady. That's right. She should have a scraper in her car. TJ? Just like myself. So I keep a scraper so nobody else has to deal with it.

00:17:03 - 00:17:05 | Speaker 3:

TJ, why do you hate me? Why?

00:17:05 - 00:17:10 | Speaker 6:

I love you, Megan. But I also think you should go ahead and take care of that, you know? Here's the thing.

00:17:10 - 00:17:15 | Speaker 7:

I am a strong, independent woman. But, like, when the garbage comes out, not when it comes to scraping my own window.

00:17:15 - 00:17:17 | Speaker 3:

I can't make any help.

00:17:18 - 00:17:18 | Speaker 7:

It's so tall.

00:17:19 - 00:17:24 | Speaker 3:

And then my shoulder hurts. I'm not strong enough. I can't do it. I'm broken now.

00:17:25 - 00:17:25 | Speaker 5:

Exactly.

00:17:26 - 00:17:26 | Speaker 6:

You get it.

00:17:27 - 00:17:32 | Speaker 5:

Thanks for the call, buddy. Have a great day. Bye. Have a good day. This mojo in the mornings back in the day.

00:17:32 - 00:17:35 | Speaker 7:

Let's go. Back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:17:35 - 00:17:40 | Speaker 5:

It was the year that Step Brothers hit theaters. Remember that movie? That was a great movie.

00:17:40 - 00:17:41 | Speaker 7:

I'm not going to call him dad.

00:17:42 - 00:17:45 | Speaker 1:

Brennan, you're 39 years old. I would not expect you to call him dad.

00:17:46 - 00:18:16 | Speaker 5:

The Wings won the Stanley Cup in this year, beating the Pittsburgh Penguins. And Estelle and Kanye's American Boy was the big song on the radio. What year was it? We'll set you up with the prize. It is the Mojo in the Morning back in the day.

00:18:18 - 00:18:26 | Speaker 7:

What year did these things happen? Call us at 844-MOJO-LIVE to tell us. 844-665-6548.

00:18:28 - 00:18:30 | Speaker 4:

We're going to take you back in the...

00:18:30 - 00:18:36 | Speaker 7:

It's Mojo in the Morning's Back in the Day. Tell us when this stuff happened.

00:18:36 - 00:18:40 | Speaker 5:

I actually just watched it a couple weeks ago. Step Brothers. I'm not going to call him Dad.

00:18:41 - 00:18:45 | Speaker 1:

Brennan, you're 39 years old. I would not expect you to call him Dad.

00:18:45 - 00:18:50 | Speaker 5:

It was the year that Step Brothers was released in theaters. It was also the year that the Wings won the Stanley Cup. And that's it.

00:18:51 - 00:18:56 | Speaker 4:

The Detroit Red Wings for the fourth time in 11 years are the Stanley Cup champions.

00:18:56 - 00:19:06 | Speaker 5:

One last moment. Beating the Penguins in six games. And the big song. American boy. What year was that, Angelique?

00:19:07 - 00:19:08 | Speaker 3:

It was 2008.

00:19:09 - 00:19:14 | Speaker 5:

It was. Congratulations. Thank you. Thank you. You're welcome. What gave it away?

00:19:15 - 00:19:16 | Speaker 3:

The Stanley Cup.

00:19:16 - 00:19:33 | Speaker 5:

Awesome win. Yeah. Yeah. We haven't had that happen in a while. We need to. I keep saying, we're on the right path, but it's like, all right, let's see what we got here. It's been a long path. You got a $50 gift card to Tubby's Sub Shop. Congratulations to you.

00:19:33 - 00:19:34 | Speaker 3:

Oh, thank you, thank you.

00:19:34 - 00:19:37 | Speaker 5:

Hang on the phone, and we'll get you set up with that. Have a wonderful day.

00:19:38 - 00:19:39 | Speaker 3:

You guys too.

00:19:39 - 00:19:54 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to give you a chance to win Taylor Swift tickets all this week, and keep listening to all of our stations for an opportunity for up-close personals. And honestly, at this point right now, you just want to be in the venue. That's like the big thing, right?

00:19:54 - 00:19:55 | Speaker 3:

No, for sure.

00:19:56 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 5:

Text SWIFT to 95500.

00:20:00 - 00:20:20 | Speaker 2:

for a chance to win. Text SWIFT, and you could be going to see Taylor Swift June the 9th or the 10th at Ford Field. Text to win every morning at 6.30 and 9.30. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Megan is in for Shannon this morning. And Megan, what do you got in this hour's Dirty on the 30?

00:20:20 - 00:20:50 | Speaker 3:

Well, obviously, we have to start with Beyonce because she gave the performance of a lifetime in Dubai this weekend on Saturday night. The Beehive, they were losing their minds online, trying to find any videos, any live streams of this performance. But it looks like they used some pretty serious signal jammers in all this because there were people even across the lake slash river thing. People across it were just trying to get audio streamed online, and they had their signals blocked as well.

00:20:50 - 00:20:52 | Speaker 2:

So they couldn't use phones or anything like that?

00:20:52 - 00:20:58 | Speaker 1:

It was a phone-free environment. I did see a couple influencers somehow got through with some good video, and I don't know how they did it.

00:20:58 - 00:21:26 | Speaker 3:

They were allowed to film at the very end. They unlocked everybody's bags at the end, but a lot of people did. Sneaking cameras, we appreciate you. I have lots to get through today with all of this. She had an orchestra, tons of dancers. At one point, she even brought out Blue Ivy, who is 11 now. Can you believe that she is 11 now? And they sing brown-skinned girls together. It was so beautiful. I cried. I loved it. I loved it so much. But she decided to start out the show by doing Etta James' At Last, and it's amazing.

00:21:28 - 00:21:43 | Speaker 1:

We had lots of celebrities in attendance.

00:21:44 - 00:22:03 | Speaker 3:

Kendall Jenner, Liam Payne, Ellen Pompeo. The show was only 90 minutes long, but fans got to hear Crazy in Love, Naughty Girl, Halo, and XO. And the show ended with this really insane fireworks display. She was paid $24 million For an hour and a half worth But she gave us a performance Worth every penny

00:22:03 - 00:22:05 | Speaker 1:

This is Beyonce

00:22:05 - 00:22:10 | Speaker 3:

And I'll say in love with Mojo in the morning Now what I thought was interesting

00:22:10 - 00:22:14 | Speaker 1:

Don't talk over that When she's showing me love I'm sorry

00:22:14 - 00:22:17 | Speaker 2:

What did you find interesting

00:22:17 - 00:22:34 | Speaker 3:

Was that there was no new music Off of her latest album That was considered a love letter To queer black culture I don't find this surprising All of seeing as Dubai is pretty anti-LGBTQ+, But we didn't hear anything off of this album

00:22:34 - 00:22:39 | Speaker 2:

What if the interpretation of Crazy in Love Was Crazy in Love And it was

00:22:39 - 00:22:47 | Speaker 1:

Well, that's interesting, though That if she I mean, they obviously had conversations in advance about that So I wonder if some of her fans are feeling left a little

00:22:47 - 00:22:53 | Speaker 3:

She was dressed differently than she normally is When she's on stage Her dancers were dressed differently

00:22:53 - 00:22:56 | Speaker 2:

Are people upset about that? Because she's taking the money

00:22:56 - 00:24:00 | Speaker 3:

Oh yeah The amount of celebrities called out this weekend for supporting The show in Dubai was crazy Especially because there were a lot of Queer celebrities who showed up To this and then it was like wait this country Doesn't even you know respect A lot of our rights And then you're still gonna go And give them your money and show them Support like how does that work There was a lot of backlash online I mean Beyonce performed great but I get both sides of the coin I get it So although Alec Baldwin is being charged with the death of Helena Hutchins, it looks like he's not going to be facing any charges for shooting the director, Joe Souza. If you didn't know, the same bullet that actually killed Helena also hit the director. The district attorney's office is saying that there just isn't a crime here. They're saying the only way to characterize the shooting is unintentional battery. That isn't a charge. You can't give that to somebody. Battery requires intent. and the whole um case with helena is that there wasn't intent that's their whole premise was that it was just an accident but there is consequences for it so they they can't do both heard legal

00:24:00 - 00:24:10 | Speaker 2:

experts this weekend say that where he's really going to face some problems in court is the fact that he was the producer of it so so than even the shooter i'm glad that you brought this up

00:24:10 - 00:24:32 | Speaker 3:

because yes a lot of people are saying well it's that ep credit that is going to keep him you know behind this charge but a lot of people are saying well how is this going to stand up because he wasn't actually making a lot of decisions like an EP normally would apparently that was just a title deal to get back ends money from profits and that's gonna be what's argued in this case they say this could

00:24:32 - 00:24:42 | Speaker 2:

be the movie that changes actors wanting to be producers of movies yeah because you realize you take the risk on of being the producer of the movie no for

00:24:42 - 00:24:57 | Speaker 3:

For sure, for sure. So, his wife, Hilaria. Hillary? Hillary. It's Hillary. She was caught by some pepperoni trying to get a statement on the whole Alex situation. She's getting roasted again for her possibly, definitely fake accent again.

00:24:57 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 2:

Just to be able to know, she was born in Boston.

00:25:00 - 00:25:00 | Speaker 1:

Austin.

00:25:00 - 00:25:02 | Speaker 5:

And her name is Hillary, but she changed it to Hilaria.

00:25:02 - 00:25:47 | Speaker 1:

You're not going to ask me questions. I'm going to talk. Okay? I want you guys to realize that we have seven kids. And you being here to escort them to school and to be there when they come home is not good. So on a human level, you guys know I'm not going to say anything to you. You know that. So please leave my family in peace and let this all play out. Okay, okay, let my kids come home and you stay away from them because they asked me mommy What like what are these people doing? And it's a very hard thing as a mom to try to explain So please Mommy

00:25:51 - 00:25:57 | Speaker 5:

Poppy will not be talking but mommy my wife's from New Wago, Michigan. It's sometimes the Puerto Rican slips out a little

00:25:57 - 00:27:21 | Speaker 2:

we're getting more information about jeremy renner and his condition post-accident can't believe i get to give you good news on this i mean it's bad news he told us that he shattered 30 bones in his body but i'm going to be real honest after hearing the 9-1-1 call hearing about uh the fact that he had his leg in a tourniquet for at least 30 minutes a lot of times you're thinking there's no way that he's going to keep that leg in the photo he's got both of his legs which is something I was genuinely not expecting and he's in recovery and doing therapy and he's got a long road ahead of him but I think he's in much better condition than a lot of people expected. Pamela Anderson is recalling an incident that took place on the set of Home Improvement you know, Tim Allen's show back in 1991 when she was just 23 years old. This is all coming out in her new memoir and she's writing on the first day of filming, first day I walked out of my dressing room and Tim was in the hallway in his robe he opened his robe, flashed me quickly completely naked underneath he said it was only fair because he had seen me naked now we're even and i laughed uncomfortably he was 37 at the time of this alleged incident i'm assuming he's either referring to the video with um tommy lee or maybe it was her playboy shoots not really sure which one but he is denying the incident saying no it never happened i would never do such a thing i don't know check out all of today's dirty buying up that dirty page at mojointhemorning.com

00:27:23 - 00:27:26 | Speaker 4:

And it was way back when, after Alec Baldwin came under fire, not for the shooting on his movie Rust, on the set of Rust, this was one, remember when he was mean to his daughter, Ireland, and he left that voicemail message that she and Kim Basinger, her mom, released, where he was like, I'll straighten your ass out. Well, Spike said that is a perfect phone scam audio to call up a cell phone store to see if we could straighten the ass out of a cell phone guy complaining about his phone service. It's a Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

00:28:57 - 00:28:57 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:28:58 - 00:29:03 | Speaker 4:

I'm tired of playing this game with you. You are a rude, faultless little pig, okay?

00:29:04 - 00:29:08 | Speaker 3:

Sir, you may have dealt with somebody else at the store, but I'm not trying to be rude.

00:29:08 - 00:29:17 | Speaker 4:

I've made an ass of myself trying to get to a phone to call you at a specific time. And you don't even have that f***ing damn phone turned on.

00:29:18 - 00:29:21 | Speaker 3:

Sir, we have our phone on here all the time.

00:29:22 - 00:29:28 | Speaker 4:

When the time comes for me to make the phone call, I stop whatever I'm doing, and I go when I make that phone call.

00:29:30 - 00:29:37 | Speaker 3:

I'm here by myself. I would give you to a manager. Is this about a phone you purchased here at our store?

00:29:37 - 00:29:46 | Speaker 4:

You have humiliated me for the last time with this phone. And when I come out there next week, I'm going to fly out there for the day just to straighten you out.

00:29:47 - 00:29:52 | Speaker 3:

Sir, I have no idea what you are talking about. Maybe you dealt with somebody else.

00:29:52 - 00:29:59 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to let you know just how disappointed in you I am and how angry I am with you that you've done this to me again.

00:30:00 - 00:30:51 | Speaker 2:

I have no idea what you are talking about. You've made me feel like a fool over and over and over again. How did... You've made me feel like... How did I make you feel... I am going to get on a plane, or I'm going to come out there for the day, and I'm going to straighten your ass out when I see you. Do you understand me? You are a rude, faultless little pig, okay? 00:36:26 - 00:36:45 | Speaker 1:

busted or found out if somebody heard you uh baking cookies tell the story was it a neighbor your child uh a parent who was it because i thought that happened to me over the weekend meg and i just finished a little midday delight baking cookies as you would say by the way why

00:36:45 - 00:36:56 | Speaker 2:

Why is it that, and listen, I know that we all, you know, enjoy, right? But why is it this early in the morning it makes me get a little agita?

00:36:56 - 00:37:54 | Speaker 1:

Well, I realize kids are in the car, so I'm trying to keep it really clean. But so after the baking, I walked outside, I put my apron back on, and I walked outside to my car and my neighbor who's a retired older gentleman uh leaned out his window and said i heard you two being crazy i had to laugh and i just all the blood drained from my body i was just mortified i said excuse me and he continued with like i was listening you're y'all crazy and i was like oh my god how wait how did he hear us having sex i we didn't have any windows open I don't think we were that loud. But secretly, you're like, yeah, high five me. Well, I'll give you the meat stick. I was like, how could he? I was like mortified because, listen, I've only moved in the neighborhood six months ago. She just wanted a piece of my meat. Oh, my God, he's going to play every drop.

00:37:55 - 00:37:56 | Speaker 2:

No, no, no, one more.

00:37:57 - 00:38:42 | Speaker 1:

The pounding begins. So I'm standing there like trying to figure out what to say. And then he says, where was the donut place? And I said, huh? And then I realized he like it took a second of conversation before I realized he wasn't talking about Megan. I having sex. He was talking about the morning show. He said he was he finally tuned in to hear a phone scam because he was talking about. I think we played a scam early Friday morning, like like very early. We replayed one. And so he didn't know what I did. until recently so he's like i'll have to listen someday and i was like not encouraging that because i was i was trying to get away i was trying to get with my neighbors not knowing

00:38:42 - 00:38:46 | Speaker 2:

what i did for as long as possible i love doing that game i love it uh do you think it was the

00:38:46 - 00:39:16 | Speaker 1:

dunkin donut parking lot thing that he heard no no no no no he just did this it was just after because then he said i i got the listen yesterday and i heard you talking about it and and uh so he was not referring to us humping i anyway hi daryl thanks for listening daryl uh that's funny i was like oh my god how did he hear us we weren't well that loud and i had this moment of self-realization

00:39:16 - 00:39:29 | Speaker 2:

like i don't think we you know when i was in uh in your house and i i got to see how close your room is to uh meg's son's room i'm thinking you ain't getting anything on the times you guys

00:39:29 - 00:39:35 | Speaker 1:

of meg's son the this is right before this is the day before oh okay so we have joint custody

00:39:35 - 00:39:45 | Speaker 2:

but am i right in saying that when uh when meg's son's over there's no way that you guys are because you guys your room your room is like literally they're right butt up yeah but she

00:39:45 - 00:39:58 | Speaker 1:

will anyway because once he's asleep he never wakes up must be nice lucky guy i'm always a little apprehensive like i'm always afraid like i i that would that would be the hardest thing to

00:39:58 - 00:40:20 | Speaker 2:

to be thinking about the whole. time like i would be you know what i mean like it's my kids uh my kids are are up we're on the first floor my kids are upstairs and i have gone upstairs and turned the tv to a level that i think my level is at and then i'll go upstairs to go say good night to luke and i'll go and i'll be like dad why are you on the floor i'm like i just run out nelson i'm just trying to listen for something

00:40:20 - 00:40:29 | Speaker 7:

i can hear like a creaking also we have bedroom doors that don't lock like i don't have i don't have locking doors it's like these swinging french doors that don't lock they're just there to

00:40:29 - 00:40:40 | Speaker 2:

like they're almost just i would go to home depot immediately yeah um hold on uh what's up jenna you there hey good morning you guys good morning we're talking about getting caught

00:40:40 - 00:41:22 | Speaker 4:

yeah so um i was in my 20s my boyfriend and i were expecting a baby and his dad was so great he would always bring me little snacks when he got done with work you know trying to be like oh you're pregnant you're something to eat like enjoy well we were watching a movie and also baking cookies in the living room and he was so kind to walk in with a pizza in the moment that you guys were doing that oh yeah oh yeah so cookies and a pizza and it's so funny because he was like super chatty kathy but obviously in this moment he's like oh okay well you guys have a nice day and just walked out i was mortified you gotta love when somebody's trying to feed you

00:41:22 - 00:41:24 | Speaker 2:

But that's probably not the time that you want to be fed

00:41:24 - 00:41:26 | Speaker 6:

Oh, it was horrible

00:41:26 - 00:41:53 | Speaker 2:

I remember we had When Chelsea and I first got together We lived in an apartment And the apartment that we lived in The couple that was above us Always was fooling around And so we would hear their romps all the time And my buddy, Jumpin' Jack Who was a guy who worked at the radio station Came up with the idea Of getting sound equipment from the radio station And taping them so that we could play it back for them on speakers.

00:41:54 - 00:41:55 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh.

00:41:55 - 00:42:13 | Speaker 2:

Scout's Honor, Hand of God, Jack did this. And we recorded them and then played back for them what they sounded like, and you could hear dead silence there when they were fooling around. It was the greatest. Because you know what? Honestly, that's why I would never want to record myself baking cookies. I don't want to hear myself.

00:42:14 - 00:42:15 | Speaker 1:

No, I don't want to see myself.

00:42:15 - 00:42:27 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Well, when I started dating Meg, I was in an apartment, And there was that realization when we heard the neighbors one time, like, oh, my God, listen to that. They're so loud right through the window. And then it all of a sudden hit me, go, oh, wait, that means they can hear us.

00:42:28 - 00:42:42 | Speaker 2:

I already know what I sound like just breathing heavy whenever I'm, like, trying to record something. It's the worst. I'm, like, recording. I'm going, I'm going to walk downstairs. You know what I mean? And I'm thinking to myself, is that what I sound like?

00:42:42 - 00:42:50 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but breathing heavy while baking cookies makes sense. Breathing heavy while just trying to record your television while you're sitting on the couch, that's when it's embarrassing.

00:42:51 - 00:43:05 | Speaker 2:

I was trying to record an Xfinity endorsement thing to post up on our social media, and I'm like, I'm watching Xfinity X1 service. Why am I breathing so heavy? I'm sitting on the couch. What's up, Ty?

00:43:07 - 00:43:25 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm making cookies one time, and we're in the room, and I was with my mom. It's probably like 11 years ago. And, well, she walked in on me and my ex. And then she's like, whoops, whoops, whoops, I'm sorry. Close the door.

00:43:25 - 00:43:26 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my goodness.

00:43:26 - 00:43:33 | Speaker 3:

And then we get a good laugh, and then she opens the door and goes, hey, by the way, have you guys seen my cigarettes? Oh, jeez.

00:43:34 - 00:43:41 | Speaker 7:

Hey, wait. So, Ty, when you started preheating the oven, so to speak, to bake those cookies, didn't you know Mom was home?

00:43:43 - 00:43:43 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:43:43 - 00:43:45 | Speaker 7:

Oh, man.

00:43:46 - 00:43:52 | Speaker 2:

He thought mom was, I don't know, watching Law & Order SVU. What's up, Lily?

00:43:53 - 00:43:54 | Speaker 5:

Good morning.

00:43:54 - 00:43:55 | Speaker 2:

Hi.

00:43:56 - 00:44:27 | Speaker 5:

Hi. I had a birthday party for my daughter, and my dad was over, and he sees a problem with one of my tractors, which is a super thoughtful thing that I noticed it. And the next day, my daughter is gone to wear baking cookies in the living room, and all of a sudden we hear hello hello and i freak out and like i started doing it caught when you were a teenager i started shaking and i make my husband go out there and talk to him my dad just stopped by fixed the tractor didn't tell me he was coming

00:44:27 - 00:44:39 | Speaker 2:

isn't it funny you're a grown woman with your own children in your own house but getting caught by your dad at that point turns you back into that teenage girl oh my god a million times and as

00:44:39 - 00:44:42 | Speaker 6:

When they come out, he's like, you okay? I was like, uh-huh, sure.

00:44:45 - 00:44:48 | Speaker 2:

It's like, Dad, call ahead. Call and tell us.

00:44:48 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 7:

How about this one? Somebody texted and said that it can't be on the radio, but this weekend they got busted by their 11-year-old son. They said he walked in and said, uh-oh, and closed the door. And she says, when I asked him.

00:45:00 - 00:45:02 | Speaker 4:

later, what he saw, he said, you were trying to make me a sister.

00:45:05 - 00:45:11 | Speaker 3:

Spike Scams at 7.50 this morning. But first, coming up in less than 15 minutes on Mojo in the Morning, you'll hear this.

00:45:11 - 00:45:23 | Speaker 2:

Alright, when we come back here next on the Mojo in the Morning show, getting paid to poo. We'll talk about that. And Megan, what do you got coming up in the dirty at 7.30?

00:45:23 - 00:45:35 | Speaker 1:

Well, we are going to get a quick update on the shooting that happened in California over the weekend, but also a little bit of gossip up when it comes to Miley's new song, Flowers, and hopefully I won't stutter through the entire thing.

00:45:36 - 00:45:44 | Speaker 2:

You've been doing good. It's been good. Megan's been filling in the last few mornings. All right. We'll take a break. We'll be right back with more Mojo in the Morning. We go more than an hour commercial free in moments.

00:45:45 - 00:46:02 | Speaker 3:

Who is seen with who? Who's banging who? And what will you be talking about all day? Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30 in minutes. On Mojo in the Morning. Classified documents? Help, we can't even give Mojo semi-classified office gossip. This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:46:07 - 00:49:03 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning, Joe. Thanks for listening. Went out for dinner with some friends. And our friends own a business. I'm not going to say what it is because I'm going to talk about one of their employees here right now. And I found it to be very funny to hear what it's like to actually be a boss. When you start talking to people who have businesses and you realize, I don't ever want to have a business. I'm so glad I work for a company. I know it sounds like it's the American dream, but it's really not. So they were telling me about this guy that works in their office who is notorious for the moment that he comes into work. He goes right to the bathroom and is in there for like 15 or so minutes pooping. So they're having this conversation with us, Chelsea and I, about the fact that he will go into the bathroom before he even says hi to anybody. and he will go do his business and then he'll come out of the bathroom like 15 or so minutes later and then he'll start his work day. And as small business owner, they say, why is he not pooping on his own time? You know what I mean? Why is he not pooping maybe before he comes to work? What is the deal? And I said to him, I go, well, sometimes you don't know. You know, sometimes you don't know when you have to go and maybe the drive gets them to go. And then they're like, well, then why not come a little bit earlier to work and then do that and then start your work day right at the time? So when my bosses called you, did you say? Well, it's funny because we came up with a whole bunch of things because we came up with a bunch of words for this. And here was here are some of the things because I was looking for a title for this podcast. And it was the here are the stuff that didn't work. poop salary toilet pay pricey poop but the one that stuck paid to poop or paid to poo if you'd like to take the pee off of it um that's what we're going to call it so and then use the number two please on there because i think it actually adds a little bit to it um so here's the conversation that we had so we had the conversation about this and i'm trying to like stick up for this guy then they said he goes to the bathroom at least three times during the day and it's a small office counting how many times he goes well he's in there for long periods of time so he's in there for how first off how long and by the way this is from a guy who at 9 10 when we do a commercial break you are usually in the bathroom that's your that's your regular time right when i don't have to work for five minutes it's my first commercial break okay so now how long are you usually in like a commercial break on our show usually lasts like seven minutes or so yeah so you're going for about

00:49:03 - 00:49:12 | Speaker 4:

five minutes of it okay so they figured out the coffee kicks in you know there's a there's a morning visit that i think most people make if they drink coffee because you you can't it's not

00:49:12 - 00:49:23 | Speaker 2:

like you can wait till lunch hour they figured he's in there 15 minutes but they figured five to ten minutes to give him give him a little bit that's excessive first of all the bathrooms aren't

00:49:23 - 00:49:37 | Speaker 4:

that clean i'm not spending one minute more in there than i have to but second of all don't go in till you gotta go when things are flowing and you're ready then you go you don't go in there and sit and look at your phone and hang out and meditate no no did i ever tell you guys my life

00:49:37 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 1:

motto what's that what is it boss makes a dollar i make a dime that's why i poop on company time i will sit there and i will browse tiktok or maybe a little bit of imager maybe i'll sit on a reddit board i'm gonna get comfortable because i can best believe my boss who is making 15 times my salary is sitting comfortable at their desk and who knows how hard

00:50:00 - 00:50:02 | Speaker 3:

They're working, so I will put in the same effort.

00:50:02 - 00:50:06 | Speaker 7:

That was the most amazing poop ever. I know.

00:50:06 - 00:50:13 | Speaker 10:

Someone here used to justify, like, they said, hey, I know people take 20-minute smoke breaks every couple hours. Well, I'm taking poop breaks.

00:50:13 - 00:51:16 | Speaker 1:

We did math on this, okay? So, and that's why I'm not going to say the name of the company. The guy makes $75,000 a year, works 40 hours a week, all right? They figured between 5 and 10 minutes. Yeah, would you like to? So let's say he poops twice a day with sessions lasting approximately 10 minutes. All right? That's $6.34 per session or $12.68 per day or $63.40 or $63.40. cents so 63 40 or 3 296 dollars per year i'm so proud of you for doing wow he did the math but he sent it to me on a uh on a text message and i want to that's why i said point is actually you know 63 40 so that's that's the math on on uh his uh his duty and uh in the office which by the way this is a duty hour because we have another good story coming up here in just a couple of minutes

00:51:16 - 00:51:29 | Speaker 3:

about uh about duty to be fair some of us have ibs and we can't control when we have to go okay you gotta go when you gotta go doreen hello good morning guys good morning good morning do

00:51:29 - 00:51:54 | Speaker 7:

you pay get paid to poo i don't but i have a best friend who literally waits to go to poop at work every single day she says that's the highlight of her day to go poop at work because not only wants that she gets paid to poop and sit there and relax. She also has three little kids, and if you have kids, little ones, you know you don't ever get that alone time, not even in the bathroom. You'll see the little fingers come through the doors and everything.

00:51:56 - 00:52:06 | Speaker 2:

I have PTSD where if somebody walks in the bathroom at our office, I immediately go to grab the door like they're going to walk into the stall because I'm so freaked out with little ones.

00:52:08 - 00:52:13 | Speaker 1:

That's funny. I never thought about that. That's actually alone time for you. Thanks, Doreen. What's up, Dave?

00:52:14 - 00:52:20 | Speaker 5:

I absolutely do my business at work so I can get an extra week's vacation over the course of a year.

00:52:22 - 00:52:25 | Speaker 10:

But do you want to spend your vacation in stall number two?

00:52:27 - 00:52:28 | Speaker 5:

Absolutely.

00:52:29 - 00:52:38 | Speaker 1:

I like that. I never thought about that. So it's kind of your way of getting an extra week's vacation by going into the bathroom and just kind of sitting in there. Do you have comfortable bathrooms?

00:52:38 - 00:52:39 | Speaker 4:

You did the math on your buddy.

00:52:41 - 00:52:42 | Speaker 1:

Would you do your math on yours?

00:52:44 - 00:52:48 | Speaker 4:

Not really, but I mean, I'm going in there, and I'm in there like 12 minutes.

00:52:49 - 00:52:49 | Speaker 9:

Yeah.

00:52:49 - 00:52:57 | Speaker 4:

And by the time you got the pre, you got the post, and I'm getting at least a week's vacation if you do the math.

00:52:58 - 00:53:10 | Speaker 1:

Our bathrooms aren't nice enough. Maybe what we should do is we should hang pictures of beautiful island scape or something in the bathroom so it makes us feel like we're getting something out of the deal. Hi, Mike.

00:53:10 - 00:53:22 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I was going to say They actually have apps that you can download For your phone and it calculates All your pay while you're pooping And it'll tell you how much you made For the year and all that, I think it's funny

00:53:22 - 00:53:32 | Speaker 1:

Oh my god, I gotta get one of those apps We should all do it, we should all do one of those apps And then every time we have to go to the bathroom We'll share it with each other That's funny, thank you for the call

00:53:32 - 00:53:34 | Speaker 6:

It's actually called paid to poop

00:53:34 - 00:53:38 | Speaker 1:

Is it the number two Or is it two

00:53:38 - 00:53:39 | Speaker 6:

That's the number two.

00:53:39 - 00:53:54 | Speaker 1:

See, that was more appropriate. That's perfect. Then let's do this. Let's get paid to poo with the app on this. We'll share it with everybody so that we can all take a little time to see how much we're getting out of our company dime. Michelle.

00:53:56 - 00:54:17 | Speaker 8:

Yes. I'm a little more sinister than everybody else. Are they sure he's actually going to the bathroom? This sounds exactly like addict behavior. Like he's in the bathroom doing something warm And going to the bathroom Is he on drugs Nobody goes to the bathroom Multiple times a day for 10 or 15 minutes Oh Mojo does

00:54:17 - 00:54:23 | Speaker 10:

Megan does You give me a little milk one day

00:54:23 - 00:54:26 | Speaker 3:

And you're not going to see me very often I'm on drugs

00:54:26 - 00:54:29 | Speaker 2:

Viral video on TikTok And I might be in there a little bit longer

00:54:29 - 00:54:40 | Speaker 1:

Michelle I love going to the bathroom at home though I really don't like going here because then I got to go all day with a scratchy, itchy booty because I use wet wipes at home.

00:54:40 - 00:54:51 | Speaker 8:

I get that, but working in ER, I mean, we have patients, families that come in that have had to take their bathroom doors off because that's where their family members were going to do drugs. Right.

00:54:52 - 00:54:56 | Speaker 1:

Well, thank you for that. Maybe I'll give them a heads up on that. They say he's actually a good employee. Oh, what's up, May?

00:54:58 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 8:

Hi. Hi.

00:54:59 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 1:

Hi, what's going on?

00:55:00 - 00:55:07 | Speaker 3:

so i'm a preference this by saying it's okay i laugh about it now um my dad passed away at 43

00:55:07 - 00:55:14 | Speaker 7:

years old from straining too hard oh my gosh like elvis right yes exactly so i tell everybody that

00:55:14 - 00:55:35 | Speaker 3:

he died like the kids so i've worn every single job that i'm at that if i'm in the bathroom for far too long i am not straining i am not pushing i'm not doing anything so if i have to sit there and just let it come on out, that's exactly what I'm doing. So I will spend 15 to 20 minutes inside of a toilet at work, and I'll make sure my bosses don't say anything about it.

00:55:35 - 00:55:42 | Speaker 9:

But is sitting there bad, or is it just the straining to get it done fast? Well, both are not good.

00:55:42 - 00:55:43 | Speaker 7:

I mean, we've read stories on the air before.

00:55:44 - 00:55:54 | Speaker 3:

No, both are not good. Yeah, it was the straining that did my dad in, but sitting there again obviously makes your butt a little numb and you'll walk out a little funny, but I won't strain. I won't do it.

00:55:54 - 00:55:58 | Speaker 7:

Say it's not great for your bowels to sit there that long if you don't got to go.

00:55:59 - 00:56:07 | Speaker 9:

I used to love my dad used to call them bowels. Bowels. How your bowels. He'd call it, all right, son, how's your bowels? Good, Dad. Kathy?

00:56:08 - 00:56:09 | Speaker 2:

Hi.

00:56:09 - 00:56:10 | Speaker 9:

Hey, what's up?

00:56:10 - 00:56:21 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. Good morning. Hey, I just want to tell you that, yes, that I have an employee who comes into work every day, and the first thing he goes to is the toilet for 45 minutes to an hour.

00:56:21 - 00:56:22 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my goodness.

00:56:22 - 00:56:28 | Speaker 2:

45 minutes to an hour? Yeah, so I have to pay, Jim. And I'm like, did the toilet eat you or eat the toilet?

00:56:30 - 00:56:34 | Speaker 7:

Your potty break should never be longer than your commute into work.

00:56:34 - 00:56:36 | Speaker 2:

Right, exactly.

00:56:37 - 00:56:41 | Speaker 9:

Does he make up for the time later? Does he stay later for you?

00:56:41 - 00:56:47 | Speaker 2:

No, no, he don't. He don't. So now management is watching him on the camera.

00:56:47 - 00:56:48 | Speaker 9:

Oh, my gosh.

00:56:48 - 00:56:50 | Speaker 2:

I think they're going to be docking his pay.

00:56:51 - 00:56:53 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, that's a long time.

00:56:53 - 00:57:12 | Speaker 9:

Yeah. So thank you for the call By the way, there was a PSA plane In back of me that said Something about Crohn's Did you hear that a second ago? I'm like, oh, is that what it is? Oh, it's my phone Alright, one last poopy call What's going on, Carla?

00:57:14 - 00:57:15 | Speaker 4:

Hey guys, good morning

00:57:15 - 00:57:15 | Speaker 9:

Good morning

00:57:15 - 00:57:25 | Speaker 4:

I used to work with a woman that would spend Half an hour, 45 minutes And actually topped out at an hour before Balancing her checkbook

00:57:25 - 00:57:26 | Speaker 9:

In the bathroom?

00:57:27 - 00:57:37 | Speaker 4:

In the bathroom And she was proud of it and would brag about it After lunch I'm going to go Balance my checkbook and it took me a while To catch on to what she was talking about

00:57:37 - 00:57:43 | Speaker 7:

Yeah she's just saying that Like we say dropping the kids off at the pool Nobody's balancing a checkbook

00:57:43 - 00:57:47 | Speaker 6:

Also who balances a checkbook? Right I don't even know how to

00:57:47 - 00:57:54 | Speaker 9:

Alright Aww look at her Hi Megan She says hi to you, Megan.

00:57:54 - 00:58:06 | Speaker 6:

Hi, Megan. Nice. Are you having a good morning? How are you guys? How? Are you having a good morning? Are you? Good. Yeah, it's okay. I'm with Mojo. Oh, you said to me that I'm a nice person today.

00:58:06 - 00:58:07 | Speaker 9:

You said I've become nice.

00:58:07 - 00:58:10 | Speaker 4:

I'm not spending my morning with you guys. Oh, thank you.

00:58:10 - 00:58:14 | Speaker 9:

Love you. Do you hear that, by the way? Megan said I was a nice person this morning. You were. Isn't that nice?

00:58:15 - 00:58:16 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that is nice.

00:58:16 - 00:58:22 | Speaker 6:

Thanks for having Mojo's back there, Megan. Shut up. You are the best. This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:58:22 - 00:58:26 | Speaker 9:

Yeah. Mark this down, okay? Please. Okay.

00:58:26 - 00:58:40 | Speaker 7:

And keep listening, because Mojo said we're going to talk more about poop later this hour. Oh, yeah. Which means we're getting paid just to sit here and talk about poop for an hour. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:58:40 - 00:58:44 | Speaker 9:

All right. Megan in for Shannon with what's going on. What's trending?

00:58:44 - 00:59:09 | Speaker 5:

So Miley Cyrus fans, they have uncovered an old video clip where Jennifer Lawrence confirmed that she did share an off-camera kiss with her former Hunger Games co-star and Cyrus' ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth. Now, fans have speculated Miley's new song, Flowers, is it about her divorce from Hemsworth during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. Jennifer Lawrence was asked if the two ever kissed, and here's what she had to say.

00:59:09 - 00:59:19 | Speaker 8:

It has recently been rumored that you and Liam Hemsworth had some PDA at the Waverly Inn. Have you two ever kissed when the cameras weren't rolling?

00:59:21 - 00:59:24 | Speaker 6:

Liam and I grew up together. Liam's real hot.

00:59:25 - 00:59:27 | Speaker 8:

I agree.

00:59:27 - 00:59:29 | Speaker 6:

What would you have done? Yes.

00:59:29 - 00:59:30 | Speaker 8:

00:59:31 - 00:59:31 | Speaker 6:

01:00:00 - 01:01:02 | Speaker 3:

also released the single on his birthday which is january 13th so even though fans believe that hensworth could have cheated on miley the two had several breaks in their relationship between meeting in 2009 getting divorced in 2019 miley also tweeted at the time of their divorce that cheating had nothing to do with them breaking up so while this is very fun who knows if it's actually the case miss selena gomez i have a bone to pick with you because you seem to be posting more lies. Remember how I told you guys last week that Selena had been out with Drew Taggart from the Chainsmokers and then she posted on her Insta stories I like being alone too much with the hashtag I am single. Well look at what happened this weekend okay because after this weekend she was caught out with Drew again walking and holding hands in New York City. They were spotted in Soho they didn't kiss goodbye but that might have been because the paparazzi found him. This is at their minimum the second date that they've had this past week plus They're going out in public So they're obviously trying to get caught If they wanted it to be private They would have stayed at home

01:01:02 - 01:01:05 | Speaker 5:

Do you want them together or don't want them together?

01:01:05 - 01:01:06 | Speaker 3:

I don't really care, it's fun

01:01:06 - 01:01:15 | Speaker 5:

I said on Friday that I just want her I want her to be with a bigger name Than the Chainsmokers guy That we don't even know which guy are the Chainsmokers

01:01:15 - 01:01:17 | Speaker 3:

But who do you want to see her with?

01:01:17 - 01:01:27 | Speaker 5:

I don't know I've said before that We have some artists that might be Perfect for her I don't know I don't know

01:01:27 - 01:01:29 | Speaker 3:

He stalls us He tries to quickly

01:01:29 - 01:01:31 | Speaker 5:

Look through the music I'm going to look Through our music here Right now

01:01:31 - 01:01:38 | Speaker 4:

I want to see her With Miley Cyrus To really give us Some 30 Oh my god Now that would be huge I like it

01:01:38 - 01:02:14 | Speaker 3:

I like it Alright 10 people were killed 10 more were injured In a mass shooting In Monterey Park Now this happened Late on Saturday night Near a place where people Had been celebrating The Lunar New Year Festival The attack went down At a dance hall The shooter was able To flee the scene Now the sheriff's department was leading the investigation with the FBI to help them out. And this is actually part of the first, like, press release that we got from them. Now, before you play this audio mojo, there is a car alarm going off in the back. I cannot take it out. It was not my fault. It does stop eventually. But this is before we found out who the shooter was.

01:02:14 - 01:02:36 | Speaker 1:

This evening, or last night actually at approximately 10.22 p.m., officers from the Monterey Park Police Department responded to a local business in the 100 block of West Garvey Avenue in the city of Monterey Park regarding a shots fired call. Wow. When officers arrived on scene, they observed numerous individuals, patrons of the location, pouring out of the location.

01:02:36 - 01:02:44 | Speaker 5:

I have a news story that kind of tells what they believe is the reasoning why that guy went in and shot up.

01:02:44 - 01:02:49 | Speaker 3:

So I have an update. Do you have that? The shooter was 72 years old and officials with the...

01:02:49 - 01:02:49 | Speaker 5:

He was how old?

01:02:49 - 01:02:50 | Speaker 3:

72.

01:02:50 - 01:02:51 | Speaker 5:

Wow, he was 72 years old.

01:02:51 - 01:03:28 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, with the Torrance Police Department, they were notified that a white cargo van resembling one near the location of the shooting was located in their community about 30 minutes outside of Monterey Park. They spotted the suspect's white van at a shopping center parking lot at around 1020 in the morning. And then this was on Sunday and they heard a gunshot. The sound led officers to request a tactical team to arrive at the scene and that restricted the van's movement. The officials then discovered that he had been killed from a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside of the vehicle. The officers conducted an investigation that linked the suspect to the shooting, including a handgun retrieved from the inside of the vehicle that linked them as well.

01:03:28 - 01:03:45 | Speaker 4:

Did you see the police confirm that there was, 20 minutes later, down the street from Monterey Park shooting, there was a second incident where the same suspect walked into a second dance studio with a gun and people kind of wrestled it out of his hands and they didn't realize until later that these were connected.

01:03:45 - 01:03:47 | Speaker 5:

Listen to what they believed the motive was.

01:03:47 - 01:04:16 | Speaker 2:

Investigators overnight did not reveal a motive for the shooting at a dance studio in Monterey Park, California A largely Asian American suburb of Los Angeles But a prominent member of the community tells ABC News it may have been a case of jealousy Chester Chong says he was told the suspect's wife was invited to an event at the studio But the suspect was not Authorities identified the suspect as 72-year-old Hu Can Tran

01:04:16 - 01:04:28 | Speaker 5:

Wow. It's so sad. And by the way, I saw this, the stat that they said that is the largest number of fatalities, the largest fatalities since what was the Uvalde shooting?

01:04:28 - 01:04:32 | Speaker 4:

Uvalde shooting. Yeah. Sad. Only a few months ago. Right.

01:04:32 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 3:

King Charles's coronation might not be the biggest affair that we've ever seen. Buckingham Palace has now announced a schedule for the affair. Now, the crowning is going to take place on May 6th. That's a Saturday. The celebration is going to last three days. Coronation, obviously going to be taking place at Westminster Abbey. Then Sunday, there's going to be a concert at Windsor Castle. Here's what I think is the coolest part of all of this. On Monday, it's actually going to be a bank holiday for England. I'm not sure about the Commonwealths overall.

01:05:00 - 01:05:18 | Speaker 5:

but definitely for England, and that is supposed to be a day for the country to do acts of community service, which I think is very cool. Lots of people think that this is going to be a much smaller affair because the king doesn't want to rub the monarchy's wealth in the face of its citizens during the current economic state and with a looming recession.

01:05:18 - 01:05:24 | Speaker 4:

I wonder if people will go to England because, you know, in the past, tourism always goes up when they do something like this.

01:05:24 - 01:05:27 | Speaker 5:

I don't think so. Charles isn't that liked.

01:05:27 - 01:05:30 | Speaker 4:

If I bought you a trip, would you go?

01:05:30 - 01:05:31 | Speaker 5:

Hell yeah. Are you kidding me?

01:05:31 - 01:05:35 | Speaker 4:

Well, I can't buy you a trip, but I'll let you watch it on television that night.

01:05:35 - 01:05:36 | Speaker 5:

I don't have a passport.

01:05:36 - 01:05:38 | Speaker 2:

We will send you to London, Ontario.

01:05:38 - 01:05:38 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:05:39 - 01:06:22 | Speaker 5:

I would rather go there. I would rather go there. Do you guys think Carrie and Meghan are going to be there? No. I don't think so. No. I don't think so either. And then finally, we got to see pictures of Kylie Jenner's son and get a name reveal after we've been waiting for nearly a year. She posted the first photos of her son, Air. And it wasn't just one photo. We got a whole dump of them. His name is actually the Hebrew origin, and it means lion of God. Plus, it goes hand in hand with her daughter's name, Stormy. Now, fans began speculating on the pronunciation because it is spelled A-R-I-E. They didn't know if it was pronounced airy or air. She wrote air with a red heart emoji. So, there you have it. 01:06:52 - 01:06:59 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my goodness. You have no idea. It's so hard to get in touch when I call, so this is very exciting.

01:07:00 - 01:07:17 | Speaker 4:

01:07:18 - 01:07:20 | Speaker 5:

Hold on. Is that a Sunday?

01:07:20 - 01:07:25 | Speaker 4:

It's a Sunday. Sunday night. That's actually this Sunday. Yeah. Holy cow.

01:07:25 - 01:07:25 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

01:07:25 - 01:07:27 | Speaker 4:

All right. You got to find yourself a nice outfit, okay?

01:07:28 - 01:07:28 | Speaker 3:

I know.

01:07:29 - 01:07:32 | Speaker 4:

All right. Hang on the phone for just one second. We'll get your information, all right?

01:07:33 - 01:07:33 | Speaker 3:

Thank you.

01:07:34 - 01:08:10 | Speaker 4:

I love you for listening. Thank you so much. Mojo in the Morning Show, Home of the Phone Scams, The War of the Roses, Dirty on the 30. We've got them all coming up for you today. I told you, we're not done with the duty talk. This one, though, is less duty and more would you do or not do something. So, a big thing that has been seen all over TikTok is the TikTok of, in Megan and KP, this is your guys' topic because both you guys have been, like, obsessed with this thing and then also arguing with each other over what you would do.

01:08:10 - 01:08:11 | Speaker 5:

Because KP is wrong.

01:08:11 - 01:08:21 | Speaker 4:

All right. So, there's a TikTok of a girl that said that she was wearing a pair of, were they Lululemons?

01:08:22 - 01:08:24 | Speaker 5:

They were. They were Lululemon yoga pants.

01:08:24 - 01:08:30 | Speaker 4:

And she was at Disney when she got doody on it, right?

01:08:31 - 01:08:47 | Speaker 5:

Well, she sat in a bench that had some human doodoo on it, and she sat into it, and she decided to throw away her pants and then buy some new ones at a gift shop. And KP has the audacity to say that she would keep those pants.

01:08:47 - 01:08:51 | Speaker 6:

Oh, yeah. I would keep those doody-covered pants. You know how much Lululemon leggings are?

01:08:51 - 01:08:54 | Speaker 5:

You could not pay me to sit in pants.

01:08:55 - 01:08:58 | Speaker 6:

No matter how many times you've washed them. You're not going to wear? Oh, my gosh.

01:08:58 - 01:09:00 | Speaker 5:

No, there's no getting the doo-doo out of that.

01:09:00 - 01:09:04 | Speaker 6:

Never. You got a washing machine? Nope.

01:09:04 - 01:09:10 | Speaker 2:

But in your brain, you know there was doo-doo on the pants. Correct. So psychologically, I could never hold on to those. Really?

01:09:10 - 01:09:10 | Speaker 6:

What?

01:09:11 - 01:09:14 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. It depends on how much was it. All right, so.

01:09:15 - 01:09:20 | Speaker 6:

Have you ever bought clothes at Plato's Closet before? Nope. Salvation Army. Nope. What? Of course I have.

01:09:20 - 01:09:21 | Speaker 5:

I'm not going to give you any credit.

01:09:21 - 01:09:29 | Speaker 3:

but what you don't know won't hurt you you don't know what happened in those pants you bought

01:09:29 - 01:09:56 | Speaker 6:

you guys are gonna waste a pair of lululemon leggings start at 90 like i would you're not gonna throw away a perfectly good pair of pants when you own a washing machine what are you using oh what are those little washboards to wash your clothes like really that expensive yeah i don't own anything lululemon they're really that expensive oh my gosh yeah and they last you like four or five years they're wonderful i'm not in the right tax bracket all right

01:09:56 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 4:

real quick real quick and then we'll get

01:10:00 - 01:10:31 | Speaker 3:

to this debate in a second i've got some questions to ask and i don't know i don't think you guys can answer it because it was just a tiktok that she didn't explore unless you guys follow this girl on tiktok can you especially tell me how did the poop get on the bench that she sat on it was probably a child so somebody was cleaning because you can't because i don't think you can change a baby's diaper on a bench i think they ask you to go to the bathroom for that like i i would assume So I think that they they'll like come over to you and say, excuse me, can you go into the bathroom?

01:10:31 - 01:10:57 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I'm sorry, but you can't have your baby's ass out. I didn't know we had celebrity accompaniment today. That's amazing. Could you please put your baby's wiener back in its pants? What about you, Goofy? Goofy, would you re-wear a pair of duty pants? Well, did you notice that Donald Duck never wears pants? Because he's always crapping himself.

01:11:02 - 01:11:27 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my Lord. All right, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. What would you do if you sat in to a little bit of duty? Would you throw those pants away or would you get them washed? I would do what she did, definitely, and go and buy myself a new pair of pants. Although I, like Megan, have the same issue I don't buy Lululemon pants

01:11:27 - 01:11:28 | Speaker 5:

No

01:11:28 - 01:11:48 | Speaker 3:

A reason for me is I don't fit into them They don't have my size That's it too But you know who else doesn't have my size? The gift shop at Disney doesn't have my size So I would be in my Alright, we're going back to the hotel moment Exactly I ain't getting into these pants

01:11:48 - 01:11:53 | Speaker 5:

But then think about it She has to fly home with the poop pants too So that's contaminating all of your other clothes.

01:11:53 - 01:11:55 | Speaker 3:

But can't you, like, put them in a plastic bag?

01:11:55 - 01:12:01 | Speaker 5:

But even a plastic bag does not, like, seal in the boob.

01:12:03 - 01:12:08 | Speaker 3:

Renna, your thoughts on this one? Megan says no. KP says yes. What would you do?

01:12:10 - 01:12:22 | Speaker 6:

Yes, because I know my sisters for a fact have had, bought older Lululemons from Marketplace, and then they return them to Lululemon, and they get credit. And you can buy new stuff

01:12:22 - 01:12:25 | Speaker 5:

No, no, no, no, no, no You can't return the poop pants

01:12:25 - 01:12:44 | Speaker 6:

That's wrong That's ethically wrong But you wash them and then you return them Okay, how do you know the ones you buy off Marketplace What the heck was on them Poop pants, poop pants, poop pants So they buy them cheaper And then they return them to Lululemon And they get credit for it

01:12:44 - 01:12:47 | Speaker 3:

All good points that are backing Megan into a corner

01:12:47 - 01:12:48 | Speaker 8:

I hate it

01:12:48 - 01:12:50 | Speaker 3:

Erica, who do you agree with?

01:12:51 - 01:13:04 | Speaker 8:

I definitely agree with KP. What? Well, honestly, if you think, so I have three kids. It wouldn't be the first time I had human poop on me. There's no way I would throw away $99 leggings. Oh, God.

01:13:05 - 01:13:08 | Speaker 5:

You're just reinforcing to not have kids, though, not to keep pants.

01:13:09 - 01:13:10 | Speaker 8:

Well, nobody said they were great.

01:13:14 - 01:13:18 | Speaker 3:

Mia, hi, Mojo in the Morning Show. A little impromptu survey here.

01:13:18 - 01:13:21 | Speaker 8:

Hi, Mia

01:13:21 - 01:13:26 | Speaker 1:

Mia, turn your radio down Listen to the phone Poor Mia

01:13:26 - 01:13:36 | Speaker 3:

I always kind of like listening to ourselves Sometimes just to see what we sound like Oh, she got disconnected Hi, Jake, let's get a guy's perspective on this one Jake, what do you think?

01:13:37 - 01:13:42 | Speaker 4:

I would definitely hang out to him And use like a half a bottle of the Lysol disinfectant detergent

01:13:42 - 01:13:48 | Speaker 3:

Yes, rational to do Megan's just rich and she can throw her clothes away

01:13:48 - 01:13:59 | Speaker 4:

I would do, like, seriously, I would wash them, like, four times with a half bottle of the life all disaffected and the Tide Pods, like, four or five of the Tide Pods. Yes.

01:13:59 - 01:14:06 | Speaker 1:

Or head over to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and you ride the Crush and Gusher and, you know, it's those suckers out in the surf pool.

01:14:07 - 01:14:08 | Speaker 5:

I don't think we're getting fair results.

01:14:08 - 01:14:09 | Speaker 3:

Nope, I got one for you.

01:14:09 - 01:14:12 | Speaker 5:

KP is screening the call. She's only picking the people that are defending her.

01:14:14 - 01:14:16 | Speaker 3:

On note, Natalie agrees with Megan. Is that right, Natalie?

01:14:17 - 01:14:25 | Speaker 7:

I do. Megan, I'm with you. Thank you. The poop pan's got to go. I'm not carrying them around all day.

01:14:25 - 01:14:26 | Speaker 6:

Thank you.

01:14:26 - 01:14:36 | Speaker 7:

I'm not putting them in my washing machine to have a poopy washing machine. It reminds me of those rewashable diapers.

01:14:38 - 01:14:41 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah, when people would use cloth diapers instead of pampers.

01:14:41 - 01:14:45 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I can't imagine putting that in my washing machine.

01:14:45 - 01:14:45 | Speaker 3:

It's green.

01:14:45 - 01:14:47 | Speaker 1:

I did it for decades.

01:14:49 - 01:14:51 | Speaker 3:

Dave, what did you say?

01:14:52 - 01:15:09 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Me and my wife were away, and she left me for a little bit and came back at a really long time. and I'm like, are you okay? Where have you been? She's like, I just took a $40 poop. And I'm like, what? She had an accident and threw her underwear away.

01:15:09 - 01:15:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh. Yeah. Yeah. I've done that. I actually have thrown away underwear.

01:15:17 - 01:15:18 | Speaker 4:

You're with Megan.

01:15:18 - 01:15:27 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. No, I know. But I don't know. And that's bad for me, too, because when I find a pair of underwear that fits right, I want to keep those. What about if

01:15:27 - 01:15:32 | Speaker 5:

like somebody puked on your shoes while you're in line at disney mojo oh god what are you doing

01:15:32 - 01:15:47 | Speaker 2:

with your nikes let me tell you this i've had to throw a couple of uh i had to throw a pair of white um adidas away because i actually dropped spaghetti sauce on them and couldn't get them off so it would remind me that it's near impossible to get that stain out even with one of those

01:15:47 - 01:15:52 | Speaker 1:

tide pod sticks and shoes there's so many stitchings in different areas that it could

01:15:52 - 01:16:07 | Speaker 2:

get into that will never come out every crack and crevice it does yeah um texter here that says can you guys please stop the number two talk this morning yes we can hate to say this but

01:16:07 - 01:16:15 | Speaker 5:

01:16:19 - 01:16:37 | Speaker 2:

Time now for a phone scam. Restaurant managers probably have to deal with more BS than any other industry. The staff of one restaurant dropped in Spike's DMs and asked him to call their manager as an annoying customer. It's a mojo in the morning phone scam.

01:16:37 - 01:16:48 | Speaker 3:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scams. Mojo in the morning.

01:18:11 - 01:18:24 | Speaker 4:

Well, like I said, we are so busy. I can't send anyone out to your car. You are perfectly welcome to come back in and pick it up or we'll put them in our lost and found and you can grab them from our lost and found.

01:18:24 - 01:18:37 | Speaker 6:

But I'm not coming back in there as long as that mean man works in there. You know what I'm saying? Can you just bring my phone out to my car? It's a blue Hyundai, license plate Echo Charlie Bravo 77 Alpha.

01:18:39 - 01:18:44 | Speaker 4:

If you lost your phone in the bathroom and it fell on the floor, how are you calling me now?

01:18:45 - 01:19:00 | Speaker 6:

Right? Yes, that's a very good point. I'm calling you on my regular phone, not my TikTok phone. Also, I lost my bag. It's brown and has some sequins. It was a look. It's made from real crocodile and has my chihuahua dog in it.

01:19:01 - 01:19:02 | Speaker 4:

Is it a real dog?

01:19:03 - 01:19:07 | Speaker 6:

Well, yes, it's my chihuahua dog. He's in the bag, and it's probably still in the bathroom.

01:19:08 - 01:19:12 | Speaker 4:

You can't bring animals into this restaurant. Well, I did. Of course I did.

01:19:13 - 01:19:18 | Speaker 6:

He's in my TikToks with me. Just yell, Sugar, and my dog will come running, please. That's his name, Sugar.

01:19:19 - 01:19:24 | Speaker 4:

I am not anywhere close to the bathroom. I am on the floor running this restaurant.

01:19:25 - 01:19:28 | Speaker 6:

But it wasn't my fault. That man was very mean to me.

01:19:28 - 01:19:33 | Speaker 4:

if you're recording people in the bathroom uh we need to call the police and have them come up here

01:19:33 - 01:19:57 | Speaker 6:

and handle no i was not recording anyone in the bathroom it's what i'm saying i was just recording myself in the mirror with sugar my chihuahua dog sir people don't want to be on video we are doing a lot of talking and we're doing a not a lot of looking for sugar my chihuahua and he's gonna get into your breadsticks now just hold the phone up and i'll call him sugar sugar sugar i don't have

01:19:57 - 01:19:58 | Speaker 4:

They always would do the little teases on these shows, and I always feel like sometimes I'm getting a little bit like that. You are the father. Yeah. Mojo on the morning show. So Mike says that he might need to have like a little funeral for something that is part of his past because it's about to go away forever. And what is that, Mike?

01:22:04 - 01:22:14 | Speaker 4:

So I need some really, really serious funeral music here. Get some funeral music. Like the organs.

01:22:14 - 01:22:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I can get that. I got that. Hold on.

01:22:16 - 01:22:55 | Speaker 4:

Stand by. Stand by for broadcast. Stand by. I want you to think about everybody's past here. Think about a time in your life. I call it my S-show era. Think about if you could make that era or if you had a moment for that era when you realize that that's going away, where it's time for it to go away, where it's a piece of your history, but it's in the past. so when i was a night show guy i which was about six seven years ago i made a uh like a facebook for that show and i would i would post club gigs on there and i would post djing on there and all

01:22:55 - 01:23:00 | Speaker 3:

sorts of stuff and then facebook was hot back then that was the one spot everybody went to

01:23:00 - 01:24:19 | Speaker 4:

absolutely so that i have pictures of oh it's not still hot i still you're my dad my aunt loves it yeah um so i ended up at at one point like taking uh creating a new one um because i realized i you know it was time to to to grow it and it was a new chapter in my life or whatever so i created a whole on-air mic facebook or whatever and kind of let that one just sit there and it what it ends up doing is it throws it into like a gray i think it calls it a gray account so i i don't use it i haven't used it in years uh probably six seven years and i don't post to it and i can't post to it and there's nothing i can do with it but it's got pictures of that entire era and i'm talking mud wrestling like stuff i would like i would delete anyways mud wrestling contests and club gigs and just some of the the dumbest things i've ever seen that i don't even know why i posted on on the internet i don't know how my wife which was my girlfriend at the time didn't just say you're in a hole and bye at that moment just with with some of the stuff that i did for the station and uh and it's i just got a notification february 19th 2023 that account will officially be deleted and everything goes away forever no no i don't think

01:24:19 - 01:24:23 | Speaker 3:

i don't think so is that because you just haven't even you haven't updated it in years haven't

01:24:23 - 01:24:26 | Speaker 4:

touched it i haven't i haven't done anything with it it's literally a photo album right now

01:24:26 - 01:24:31 | Speaker 2:

i tried to i tried to go to it and i can't it won't let me pull it up it does pull up you

01:24:31 - 01:24:43 | Speaker 4:

uh did you know that uh well so what it does yeah because it's not it's not it's not an account anymore it's like in a gray space where you can't nobody can get to it you can't attach to it and

01:24:43 - 01:24:47 | Speaker 2:

for those that don't know will you tell everybody what the name was that you used it was internio

01:24:47 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 4:

mic or dj internio at the time internio yeah yeah yeah but it's got it's got all sorts of random things on it me emceeing at a uh it looks like a country

01:25:00 - 01:25:22 | Speaker 3:

concert all sorts of random stuff like stuff like i'll mc and stuff still but like i'm not gonna host a mud wrestling contest anytime soon that's probably not gonna happen that would have been fun a mud wrestling contest oh my gosh it was not it was in a kiddie pool at a in the back of a club it was not cool there was nothing cool about it i'm looking at uh i'm looking at the

01:25:22 - 01:25:32 | Speaker 4:

stuff it's funny because all you see when you look up internio mike is you'll see occasionally like Schmitty or Drew or, you know.

01:25:32 - 01:25:38 | Speaker 3:

His wife has a post with Internio Mike in it. Yeah. Happy birthday to the most amazing man, Internio Mike.

01:25:38 - 01:25:41 | Speaker 4:

Aw. Did she call you Internio when you were still Internio?

01:25:42 - 01:25:42 | Unknown:

No.

01:25:42 - 01:25:45 | Speaker 3:

She didn't even know that I worked for the radio station.

01:25:45 - 01:25:48 | Speaker 4:

Oh, wait. You were not Internio at all when you were with her?

01:25:49 - 01:25:53 | Speaker 3:

No, because Internio, so it was like a weird transition.

01:25:53 - 01:25:55 | Speaker 4:

You went from Internio to?

01:25:55 - 01:26:55 | Speaker 3:

to mike and then i wanted to keep the people who facebook didn't have the option to like merge facebook accounts or do a lot of things then so i just kept changing the name and so the name probably wasn't even that um when my wife and i had started dating and then it was the name kept changing so that's just what it is now like i don't even know what I was throughout the years. It's so weird. It's a very bizarre thing. So to old Mike, Internio Mike, DJ Internio, while you may never DJ again, son, you were an a-hole anyways. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. You hosted, and we'll continue to host, some fun things, and that's okay. Yeah. But with growth, my friend, with growth, what dies is frosted tips. What dies?

01:26:56 - 01:27:04 | Speaker 4:

Do you love, by the way, when Facebook will say you have memories and you'll go look at the memories and you're like, oh, God, why is that still there?

01:27:04 - 01:27:14 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. It's so bad. I should grab some of the pictures and just, well, I don't know if I should do that because then you'll post them. But just show you how bad of posts they were.

01:27:14 - 01:28:06 | Speaker 4:

Let me ask listeners this question. I'm bringing you in on this one. Um, what era of your life would you like to forget? And it could be this era, who knows, but what era of your life, because you were like the worst person ever. And it could be worst person ever because in Mike's case, you know, internio was not the greatest of, uh, of guys. He was, uh, he was out there, uh, sowing his seed. Um, it could also be that you could, it could be your looks. It could be your looks. You know what I mean? Like back in the day, like I look at some of the pictures from like 13 years ago, and I'm like, oh, my God, that's scary. Why would anybody let me dress in something like that? It wasn't even fashionable at the time. Hold on, Mike. Some listeners would like to make a comment to the eulogy of Internio Mike. What's up, Mulan?

01:28:07 - 01:28:11 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Mike. So if you're not doing mud wrestling anymore, are you just going to stick to the oil wrestling?

01:28:14 - 01:28:19 | Speaker 4:

Thursday nights. wait where was mud wrestling at was that at a club

01:28:19 - 01:28:36 | Speaker 3:

it was a club that is no longer around and I don't even remember the name of it but I had so many club gigs it was like Thursday through Monday and it was a Monday night club gig and we it was a now it's a restaurant but it was a bar slash club imagine you take your kids in

01:28:36 - 01:28:44 | Speaker 4:

alley to that restaurant guys I used to partake Mulan are you still there did I lose him I hung up

01:28:44 - 01:29:09 | Speaker 2:

phone on him i'm sorry shauna hi what's up um so i texted you guys that you guys called me yes oh okay tell us your text there's a way anyways to access a great facebook account yeah um what i did with my old work one is i just linked it to like my current facebook account

01:29:09 - 01:29:14 | Speaker 4:

no mike doesn't want this anymore mike wants this thing gone i can access it he can still

01:29:14 - 01:29:17 | Speaker 3:

access it he doesn't want anybody to ever see this ever again

01:29:17 - 01:29:31 | Speaker 4:

just delete it what if this is the case there's some guy out there right now who's DJ Internio that's been bummed that he can't have that name maybe he'll take it right away for you he can have it he can have it Shauna

01:29:31 - 01:29:33 | Speaker 2:

donate it to him

01:29:33 - 01:29:36 | Speaker 4:

what part of your life Shauna would you like to completely forget

01:29:36 - 01:29:44 | Speaker 2:

oh boy you know I've had a good ride up until this

01:29:44 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 4:

point so oh so you're saying maybe maybe now the bad times are going to be coming no no no no i wouldn't change anything you know that's pretty uh impressive that you would say that because i think 99.9 percent of people would say they have a time in

01:30:00 - 01:30:17 | Speaker 1:

their life that they wish that they could forget well yeah but then you get the whole thing if if you do change something then you can't you can't take it all back and then your life is not how it was now so i'm happy with what i got right now so by the way 616 says mike was it called margarita

01:30:17 - 01:30:23 | Speaker 4:

grill was it the name 100 that was the place good old margarita grill that's you know what that's

01:30:23 - 01:30:37 | Speaker 3:

true that's a good way to look at it and that's true because if i didn't get it out then like if i didn't do it before i got married and had kids and got really serious about not being a douchebag like would i be that guy today would i be 30 something years old you know doing that

01:30:37 - 01:30:59 | Speaker 4:

stuff mike i i know what you're talking about because my early days i would do i would be a night dj going to clubs and i was i was that douchebag too it sucks not as bad as internio but i was that's okay but i remember i remember going to the clubs and stuff like that i remember in chicago it was like toto's which was a place in schomburg that was really bad and we would go there and it was always every friday night we'd go there for the friday night dance party

01:30:59 - 01:31:04 | Speaker 3:

and then imagine though if they had pictures of all that stuff that would come back onto every

01:31:04 - 01:31:17 | Speaker 4:

year somebody does somebody has like pictures of of me and my i shared the that uh promo picture of me in that bad leather jacket with the mullet that like that those days those those were bad

01:31:17 - 01:31:28 | Speaker 5:

picture days those were bad days i'm glad there was no social media oh my god thank god we were growing up because god the stupid embarrassing things that would be out there you know our dub

01:31:28 - 01:31:59 | Speaker 4:

who uh our buddy in radio that has sunday night slow jams across the country on syndicated show he'll send me old pictures of he and i at like promotions and stuff and i would say to him like why do you want to ruin my day like honestly what is the point of ruining my day it's not even nice all right goodbye internio mojo in the morning show so megan it's interesting that you uh you say this you say and you got a story to go with this but you will never change your name even if

01:31:59 - 01:33:12 | Speaker 2:

you get married yeah i was hanging out with um some friends over the weekend chad and his husband kevin and i were talking and we i actually this is so weird i've known them for forever i've known Chad since I was 16 I worked with him at my first job but his husband and I have known each other for years and I didn't have his phone number saved in my phone so as I was typing in his number I put in Kevin and I started putting in Chad's last name and he goes that's not my last name and I went wait I thought you took his last no no we didn't take each other's last name I still have my original name and I had no idea and then I started thinking about it my good friend Katie got married what a year or two ago she still has her maiden name i just feel like more and more people aren't changing their names when they get married yeah and i didn't know is this like a deal breaker for guys because for me i never want to change my name first of all i have a great name it is fantastic four letters it's easy everybody can pronounce it it's mick m-i-c-k so easy but i can't hyphenate it in the future either so say i marry like smith oh yeah i can't do mick smith because everybody's going to think it's M.C. Smith. So I was just going to keep my maiden name for forever.

01:33:13 - 01:33:24 | Speaker 4:

You know, it's weird. I wanted to ask this question of our friends Tim and Bill and find out why it is that Tim took Bill's name. I've always wanted to know that. Like, how do you decide if you are going to change names?

01:33:24 - 01:33:32 | Speaker 2:

I asked the guys if they argued over it, and they said, no, we were just too lazy to do the paperwork. And I love that. I was like, I get that. I relate.

01:33:32 - 01:33:39 | Speaker 4:

Do you guys think when Shannon comes back from this engagement weekend that we all think that she's engaged? right? We all kind of have this. She's been hiding

01:33:39 - 01:33:43 | Speaker 2:

her hand. Now I think she's messing with us and she's not engaged. She still

01:33:43 - 01:33:48 | Speaker 4:

has legally her married name. Do you think that she'll switch over to Wesley's name?

01:33:49 - 01:33:55 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I was always surprised she didn't go back to her maiden name. But then it also made sense because she said

01:33:55 - 01:33:59 | Speaker 5:

the kids. Yeah, when you have kids it's a different story I guess. Yeah?

01:33:59 - 01:34:10 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I don't know. I wouldn't want to. I like F them babies. I don't need the same name. They still came from me. I don't need to have the same name as them

01:34:10 - 01:34:19 | Speaker 4:

Megan when you and I get married You don't take my name we ain't getting married And by the way This is when you myself and Chelsea get married And you become one of our sister wives

01:34:19 - 01:34:23 | Speaker 2:

Oh I'd marry Chelsea and take her name But I would not marry her and take her name

01:34:23 - 01:34:47 | Speaker 5:

It's like I could care less If someone would take my name or not But I think at the same time I admire women who do it because Oh hold on a second where did that come from Breaking news I always admire that because there's so much work involved in changing a name it takes like years to get that all changed in all the legal documents state and the government the billing all that stuff i'm like man

01:34:47 - 01:34:51 | Speaker 4:

i just really love that person um mojo in the morning show what's going on emily

01:34:51 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 1:

hey mojo i love you guys anyway i love you too thank you

01:35:00 - 01:36:08 | Speaker 5:

And I've been married for over 40 years, and I remember thinking about planning my wedding, and I thought, you know what? I'm just not going to change my name. It's very European. My husband's name's almost like Smith's. It's very common. And I just said to him, hey, you know what? I'm just not thinking of marrying. I'm going to change my name. He goes, yeah, no big deal. I'm marrying you, not your name or whatever. It was no big deal. so i get married and all these people were men mostly married men like if that was me i would never have married you oh that would never work in our relationship everybody's got something to say about it it was very interesting because it was 40 years ago and this is for you um megan is that even then i thought every girl's going to change not going to change their name they weren't going to keep their name and then all of a sudden it was kind of a um a trend that they would change their name i don't know if they thought it was like kind of old-fashioned and more romantic but um see i would have thought that you 40 years ago

01:36:08 - 01:36:13 | Speaker 7:

not changing your name would have been a complete unicorn that there wouldn't be a lot of people

01:36:13 - 01:36:19 | Speaker 5:

it's no it was no different than today i'm not kidding that's wild i see i always thought that

01:36:19 - 01:36:26 | Speaker 1:

it was it was different because now it might still raise an eyebrow but it seems like a few decades ago that would raise a real stink with a different generation

01:36:26 - 01:36:41 | Speaker 7:

I actually thought that it was interesting how much Chelsea was excited to change my name until I realized it was just to move up in the alphabet she just wanted the ability to be able to be you know in the seas

01:36:41 - 01:36:52 | Speaker 3:

I kind of understand if you've got like a complicated last name if you want to simplify it I totally get that but even with kids like if I had kids which I don't think I will middle names could be my maiden name I think that's how I keep the name going

01:36:53 - 01:36:54 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, that's true. What's up, Katie?

01:36:56 - 01:37:02 | Speaker 2:

Megan, you're breaking my heart. I've been waiting to marry either you or Ellen for some time now.

01:37:03 - 01:37:04 | Speaker 1:

Either one.

01:37:04 - 01:37:09 | Speaker 2:

My last name is Lube, and I think we have to hyphenate. Oh, wow.

01:37:09 - 01:37:13 | Speaker 3:

Let me tell you right now, I would definitely hyphenate my name to McLube for you. Are you kidding me?

01:37:14 - 01:37:14 | Unknown:

You know what, baby?

01:37:15 - 01:37:17 | Speaker 4:

I would move from Grand Rapids for you. I'll make you say McLube.

01:37:18 - 01:37:21 | Speaker 7:

That is the greatest last name ever, by the way, Katie.

01:37:22 - 01:37:23 | Speaker 4:

Mrs. McLeod.

01:37:23 - 01:37:27 | Speaker 7:

Oh, that's beautiful. Hi, Kim.

01:37:28 - 01:37:55 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Yeah, so I laughed a little bit when you guys made the comment of, oh, it takes years and this and that. So that was kind of my friend, her excuse for not getting her name changed once she got married because she held off for like two years. And she actually finally went down and just did it to surprise her spouse. It took like 15 minutes. It was easier than being married, she said. So I think it's actually an easy process.

01:37:56 - 01:38:00 | Speaker 7:

But that's a great excuse. Don't say that because there's some people probably listening right now.

01:38:00 - 01:38:04 | Speaker 3:

Well, that paperwork takes 15 minutes, but changing all of the accounts is what takes forever.

01:38:05 - 01:38:06 | Speaker 7:

Jen?

01:38:07 - 01:38:08 | Speaker 3:

Good morning, Tom.

01:38:09 - 01:38:11 | Speaker 7:

How are you doing? How are you? He changed his name.

01:38:11 - 01:38:14 | Speaker 6:

I can't do that to you. I'm sorry. Thank you. I'm sorry. Good morning, Mojo.

01:38:14 - 01:38:17 | Speaker 7:

I like when I'm called Tommy. Can you call me Tommy instead of Tom?

01:38:18 - 01:38:19 | Speaker 6:

Oh, honey, I'll call you whatever you want.

01:38:19 - 01:38:21 | Speaker 7:

Oh, that's beautiful. What's going on?

01:38:22 - 01:38:48 | Speaker 6:

So anyway, I was listening to this, and I just had to call in. So my husband and I are both a second marriage with each other. We're coming up on our 18th wedding anniversary on the 5th, or the 4th, I'm sorry. And his first wife got remarried after him and got divorced and then called and asked us if she could take my husband's last name back. And we said, absolutely. They've got two children together, and we've co-parented beautifully together for all this time. And, yeah, come on back on board. See, I like that.

01:38:48 - 01:38:51 | Speaker 1:

She changed her name, but then she wanted to change it back.

01:38:51 - 01:38:54 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, she changed it back to my husband's last name.

01:38:54 - 01:38:58 | Speaker 7:

Are you sure that she's not on the run and there's something we should know?

01:38:58 - 01:38:59 | Speaker 6:

I'm quite positive.

01:38:59 - 01:39:00 | Speaker 5:

I could take her.

01:39:00 - 01:39:01 | Speaker 6:

I could totally take her.

01:39:01 - 01:39:09 | Speaker 7:

I knew a radio person. I won't say who it is, but there's a radio person that worked here in town, was a legendary radio person who legally changed their name to their radio name.

01:39:10 - 01:39:11 | Speaker 6:

Oh, wow.

01:39:11 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 7:

Because they didn't want to go out in restaurants and hand their credit card off and it not be their radio name. So they legally changed their name. And somebody asked me, would you ever do that? And I said, if I did that, my dad would kill me if I got rid of his name. Absolutely. Thank you for the call. It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning. All right. Why are you not getting a call back after you went on a date? We are going to find out. This one's an interesting one. On the phone with us are Gio and Kenzie. and are both you guys there are both you guys on the phone with me right now yeah okay you're on the radio everybody okay with being on the radio yeah okay all right

01:40:00 - 01:40:12 | Speaker 4:

So, I don't know which one of you guys is the better storyteller, but there's something going on where you guys aren't getting your potential relationship straight. Gio, first off, how did you guys meet?

01:40:14 - 01:40:19 | Speaker 3:

We actually just went out with a bunch of mutual friends, and we kind of got to know each other then.

01:40:20 - 01:40:25 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, okay. So, and you've been texting with Kinsey, is that right?

01:40:26 - 01:40:27 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:40:27 - 01:40:30 | Speaker 4:

And how responsive has Kenzie been back with you?

01:40:33 - 01:40:33 | Speaker 3:

Responsive enough.

01:40:34 - 01:40:35 | Speaker 4:

Yeah?

01:40:35 - 01:40:47 | Speaker 3:

Like, yeah, we're not really in a relationship, so I'm like, when you said, like, we're here to talk about a relationship, like, I'm kind of confused on that. So I don't know, maybe you should ask Kenzie. I don't know exactly what's going on here, honestly.

01:40:47 - 01:40:57 | Speaker 4:

So, Kenzie, Gio is not giving you what you think he should be giving you if you guys are going to be in a relationship with each other. Why does he say that you guys aren't in a relationship

01:40:57 - 01:41:29 | Speaker 1:

Well I mean It's not even like The relationship situation as much as it is Like he's not Setting up a second Date so Like we consider that first one our first date Right and And so we've been texting Forever now and back and forth And We keep saying like oh we should hang out We should do this thing next and like but there's never He's never actually gone forward and made plans for that second date.

01:41:29 - 01:41:36 | Speaker 4:

Okay. So you guys go out with each other once. Then you start texting with each other. And how often are you guys texting?

01:41:37 - 01:41:38 | Speaker 1:

I mean, like, on the daily.

01:41:39 - 01:41:47 | Speaker 4:

Really? Okay. Yeah. And, Gio, what's the story? Why are you not making the effort to make another date?

01:41:50 - 01:42:00 | Speaker 3:

I don't know if I'm not making an effort. I'm just kind of surprised by all this, honestly. Like, I kind of thought we just had, like, a silent agreement to just be casual, honestly.

01:42:01 - 01:42:03 | Speaker 2:

But casual can still mean setting up more dates.

01:42:06 - 01:42:10 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. That's confusing. Yeah.

01:42:11 - 01:42:21 | Speaker 4:

Kinsey, why aren't you just making a date plan? I mean, we live in a time where you can do it, too. You've got the ability to be able to say, hey, let's go. We'll meet here.

01:42:22 - 01:42:32 | Speaker 1:

I mean, yeah, but, like, I want – what I want is a guy that's going to just, like, you know, take charge and say what he wants and know what he wants and make a plan.

01:42:33 - 01:42:38 | Speaker 3:

I mean, you can come over tonight if you want. You want to come over to my house tonight? That's cool.

01:42:40 - 01:42:47 | Speaker 4:

Are you saying that because you want her to come over for a date, or are you saying that because you want her to come over and you guys bake cookies with each other?

01:42:49 - 01:42:50 | Speaker 3:

I do like cookies.

01:42:50 - 01:43:06 | Speaker 4:

so is it can i ask has it been that have you guys had like you guys went out once but have you guys just been getting together to fool around with each other when you get around get together we haven't gotten together since really okay so that so that hasn't happened so it's not like

01:43:06 - 01:43:13 | Speaker 1:

he's just using for sex all right so that's why i thought it was like going somewhere

01:43:13 - 01:43:19 | Speaker 4:

okay so why why haven't you taken the initiative of just saying all right let's go let's get

01:43:19 - 01:43:27 | Speaker 3:

together tonight I mean yeah Kinsey no Kinsey but uh I know you just did just now because we

01:43:27 - 01:44:04 | Speaker 1:

put pressure to you but Kinsey why have you not just done it um well like because I just I feel like I need a guy that's gonna like take charge like if I'm gonna date a guy like I want a guy that's gonna be you know confident about what he wants and and just be like hey let's do this this time like that's what i want some guy that's like confident in that do you think he's using you just for a relationship of talking on the phone or for attention i don't i didn't think so i mean now i'm a little bit worried but like i didn't think so i thought it was just being like wishy-washy you

01:44:04 - 01:44:11 | Speaker 4:

know um comments from listeners here dawson what are your thoughts uh your your thoughts on this

01:44:11 - 01:44:36 | Speaker 2:

relationship hey mojo i think that you know i heard what they're both saying i honestly think that you know it's 2023 like you said um i think you know the girls should kind of step up sometimes i mean if there's you know confusion maybe she should say hey i kind of like you i kind of got your vibe i think you know we should go on a second date yeah make a little bit of the effort

01:44:36 - 01:44:44 | Speaker 4:

and don't just leave it to him. She, though, says that she thinks that he's too passive and this was what a relationship with him will be like.

01:44:45 - 01:44:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's happened to me before. I went out on some pretty great dates, but I've been kind of ghosted on it before.

01:44:52 - 01:44:55 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the morning, what's going on? Courtney, thanks for the call, by the way, Dawson. What's up, Courtney?

01:44:55 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 1:

Hi, I just want to say I fully support Kenzie because I feel like a lot of...

01:45:00 - 01:45:19 | Speaker 6:

the time women are always doing the emotional work to plan dates to figure things out and it's just like it's just so much better like anytime you get on a dating app a guy is just like i don't know like you want to go out it's like plan the date don't just ask me to come over your house like what are we gonna do at least make it cute like are we gonna bake pizzas together like not

01:45:19 - 01:45:25 | Speaker 2:

bake cookies make pizzas together something yeah right literally don't you then feel like the

01:45:25 - 01:45:46 | Speaker 4:

pressure is on you that if it doesn't go well or if it's not what they like that you've dropped the ball and let them down it's so much pressure and i feel like guys don't realize like we put that all on our own shoulders if you would just make the plans and it doesn't have to be every time i actually think was it dawson was right like it should be both parties but every once in a while if you just made the decisions and told me when and where to show up i would be like

01:45:46 - 01:46:11 | Speaker 2:

yes it's great do you think it's it's easy for guys like guys kind of can sit back and do nothing oh yeah um you know it's two-way street i think you think so you think it's just as difficult for for i think it's tougher to date if you're a woman than it is for a guy because i think guys can guys can ask you out and go somewhere but guys also can lay back and let you know and i think women

01:46:11 - 01:46:26 | Speaker 3:

are more willing to make the effort am i wrong i don't know i don't know i mean both got to make an effort and if you don't you risk losing that person they're not if you're not showing interest in showing that you're really putting something forward to make it happen like every guy friend

01:46:26 - 01:46:36 | Speaker 2:

of mine that is right now single and on a dating app they just sit back and and it comes to them guys don't put an effort it's like them trying it depends on what you're looking for too you

01:46:36 - 01:46:42 | Speaker 3:

can always find somebody who's just out for one thing or just out the like they can desperate they

01:46:42 - 01:46:52 | Speaker 2:

can have whatever kind of relationship they want to have they can have a relationship like this one where all they're going to do is text each other or talk on the phone or they can have one in person Couldn't girls just have whatever they wanted?

01:46:52 - 01:46:55 | Speaker 4:

No, the guy set the expectations, I think, socially.

01:46:55 - 01:46:57 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Jasmine? Yes.

01:46:58 - 01:47:12 | Speaker 8:

I would just say that, I mean, I totally was on the same page. Like, I'm just going to wait around and wait for them to ask me out. But nowadays, we have to actually shoot our shot in order to move forward.

01:47:12 - 01:47:14 | Speaker 2:

So give some advice to Kenzie. What do you think she should do?

01:47:15 - 01:47:24 | Speaker 8:

I think, Kenzie, I think give it a try. I'm telling you, just plan something and you just never know. You never know where it's going to go, you know?

01:47:24 - 01:47:28 | Speaker 4:

But do you give it a try with the guy who just said you can come over, I guess, if you want?

01:47:28 - 01:47:29 | Speaker 1:

Right.

01:47:29 - 01:47:32 | Speaker 4:

No, no. I mean, I didn't hear that part.

01:47:32 - 01:47:58 | Speaker 8:

I'm sorry. I was listening to the beginning. But I get that. I would want somebody to take me out, too. I'm not trying to hang out at your house. We need to, you know, get to know each other outside in the public, you know, know each other, have dinner, all that before we go forward. And before I come to your house and hang out, I'm not going to do all that, you know, because they totally think something else is going to go on before we, you know, if we go over to the house and hang out. So, yeah, I get it. I get that.

01:47:58 - 01:48:00 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for the call. What's up, Tamika?

01:48:01 - 01:48:02 | Speaker 5:

Yes, hi.

01:48:02 - 01:48:04 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Tamika. What kind of advice can you give?

01:48:06 - 01:48:44 | Speaker 5:

So, Kinsey, girl, like, okay, you already said multiple times what you want. You're looking for a man who's going to take charge and take you out. There are men out there that want to do that. this one you've been talking to he's very casual because obviously he said yeah come over and make cookies but he had to get the pressure on him just to say that you already know what you want you need to seek out what you want he's not going to give you what you want he's casual he's not he even thought it was casual to begin with so you can't make somebody want and be somebody that you you want them to be they're not in that place right now he's not in that place all right geo hang in No, you're going to get there eventually. I like it.

01:48:44 - 01:48:51 | Speaker 2:

I like that. By the way, you should do relationship talk on the Mojo in the Morning Show because I like that you take that effort, Tamika. Thank you.

01:48:51 - 01:48:53 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that's beautiful. Have a good day, y'all.

01:48:53 - 01:48:56 | Speaker 2:

Love you. Bye-bye. Take what's up. What's up, Ashley?

01:48:57 - 01:48:58 | Speaker 7:

Good morning, guys. How are you?

01:48:58 - 01:49:01 | Speaker 2:

Good. Second date update. What did you want to say to Gio and Kenzie?

01:49:03 - 01:49:32 | Speaker 7:

Kenzie, it sounds like you are looking for a man that takes charge and wants what he wants and knows what he wants. And guys know what they want, and they'll make something happen if they want it to. If you're feeling like he's not there all the way, make a power move. Put it up against them. Like, I asked my boyfriend to be my boyfriend because he kept saying, oh, I want this. Like, if they're serious, they'll make it happen. And if not, they're not worth your time whatsoever. Move on.

01:49:33 - 01:49:38 | Speaker 2:

I like good advice for you, Kenzie. Are you getting this? Kaylin, what did you want to say?

01:49:38 - 01:49:41 | Speaker 8:

Hey, guys. I think this girl is playing games

01:49:41 - 01:49:44 | Speaker 2:

Whoa, wait a second Why do you think she's playing games?

01:49:45 - 01:49:53 | Speaker 8:

Well, because like How are you going to go on the radio And complain about him not Calling you back Or asking you for a date When she could have Easily done the same thing

01:49:53 - 01:49:56 | Speaker 2:

So you think This is game playing?

01:49:57 - 01:49:57 | Speaker 6:

Huh?

01:49:57 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 2:

Because we do second date update To find out answers

01:50:00 - 01:50:07 | Speaker 3:

Of why somebody's not interested Or has lost interest And I think that's exactly what she's doing With Gio because Gio doesn't sound like he's interested

01:50:07 - 01:50:16 | Speaker 6:

Well I think She probably needs to find someone else Like someone who will take charge Clearly I guess he's not in for it So I don't know

01:50:16 - 01:50:25 | Speaker 4:

I mean you're right Kaylin That obvious solution would be Hey then step up and say something You make the move But I guess she's more passive

01:50:25 - 01:50:27 | Speaker 6:

Close mouths don't get fed

01:50:27 - 01:50:35 | Speaker 3:

All right, so where do we go with this, guys? It's like our boss when he ends a meeting. All right, where are we going to go with this?

01:50:35 - 01:50:37 | Speaker 4:

What's our action items? Yes.

01:50:37 - 01:50:41 | Speaker 3:

What are you guys going to do? Gio, Kenzie, what's the next step?

01:50:43 - 01:50:44 | Speaker 5:

You don't know.

01:50:45 - 01:50:45 | Speaker 3:

Huh?

01:50:47 - 01:50:48 | Speaker 4:

Go ahead, Gio.

01:50:48 - 01:51:05 | Speaker 5:

I was just going to say no offense to everyone, but I think everyone is just kind of overthinking this between the two of us. Like, we're not in a relationship. So, like, I don't know. I felt like I was just in, like, couples counseling or something. So, from my end, it's like whatever's going to happen will happen.

01:51:06 - 01:51:11 | Speaker 4:

Well, nothing's going to happen if it's up to you. So, it sounds like you're just cool with taking your good old time.

01:51:11 - 01:51:12 | Speaker 3:

What do you have to say, Kenzie?

01:51:14 - 01:51:47 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, well, I'm liking some of the advice I heard. And, you know, the truth is that it is important for me that a guy take charge to the point where I would call the radio because I'd rather do that than ask a guy. I'm just, like, old-fashioned like that. I'd rather give him the opportunity to ask first, and it didn't work. So, like, you know, like, I think he's super cool and everything, but I think that I'll just, like, hang back, and then if he wants to make a move, he can.

01:51:47 - 01:51:48 | Speaker 3:

I like it.

01:51:48 - 01:51:51 | Speaker 7:

And I can be open to that, and then I'll just wait and see what happens.

01:51:51 - 01:51:55 | Speaker 3:

Good for you. Good for you. Dina, what did you want to say real quick?

01:51:56 - 01:51:58 | Speaker 6:

Hey there. He just wants some booty.

01:51:58 - 01:51:59 | Speaker 3:

That's it?

01:52:00 - 01:52:01 | Speaker 6:

That's it.

01:52:01 - 01:52:08 | Speaker 3:

He just wants some booty. Well, he's not going to get it by just texting. That booty doesn't happen.

01:52:09 - 01:52:09 | Unknown:

True, true.

01:52:09 - 01:52:12 | Speaker 3:

All right, thanks for the call. Second date update.

01:52:12 - 01:52:18 | Speaker 4:

01:53:14 - 01:53:41 | Speaker 1:

Kim Kardashian is in the Ivy League like literally she popped into a class on friday and she spent about two hours talking about her skims business with students her and the co-founder jen's grady were actually invited to speak uh this class on their business they were uh talking in a course called moving beyond dtc don't ask me what they actually study there but i think it has to do with like moving beyond so

01:53:41 - 01:53:50 | Speaker 3:

moving beyond dg it has to do with moving on it's fun fancy stuff exactly exactly you think i have

01:53:50 - 01:54:10 | Speaker 1:

ivy league knowledge please please uh don't call him a drag queen representative george santos the notorious liar is now backtracking and admitting after saying he did not do drag that okay maybe he did it once he was asked by some paparazzi in an airport uh what the deal was oh i was not a

01:54:10 - 01:54:17 | Speaker 2:

drag queen in brazil guys i was young and i had fun at a festival sue me for having a life okay

01:54:17 - 01:54:35 | Speaker 1:

now here's what i need to tell you about this george santos drag picture that has surfaced as somebody who has once participated in drag and also follows drag culture very closely based on that picture that was not the first time he was a dragon although although i gotta be honest i've

01:54:35 - 01:54:48 | Speaker 3:

seen spike and spike sometimes gets into it hey i'm just saying i'm just saying those pictures by the way still most amazing ever because we realized when spike was dressed in drag one time 15 years

01:54:48 - 01:54:53 | Speaker 4:

ago i don't don't make it sound like a monthly event how big his junk is it was very difficult

01:54:53 - 01:55:00 | Speaker 3:

for them to cover up his junk congratulations i i i regret clicking on the latest

01:55:00 - 01:55:23 | Speaker 5:

headline that just came through an hour ago from BuzzFeed saying the latest revelation that apparently George Santos claimed to have once been on Hannah Montana alongside Miley Cyrus. Oh, really? They found an old Wikipedia user biography that used to belong to him and the old name that he used to use elsewhere and he's claiming that he was once on that show and they're saying, I don't think that's ever happened either. I don't believe it.

01:55:24 - 01:56:53 | Speaker 2:

I do not believe it. God, I love RuPaul. Sorry. Okay, the Sundance Film Festival has return to Utah, but not without some controversy. Jurors in the competition actually exited the screening of magazine Dreams, and this was actually in protest. The film wasn't accessible to a deaf colleague. Now, Oscar winner Marlee Maitland was among those on the jury, and when a caption device provided to it didn't work, all of the jurors walked out in protest. Now, Sundance has confirmed the jury plans to watch the film together before the festival ends. Others are saying that Sundance only has themselves to blame because the festival was asked to include closed caption on screen for all of their movies. And they said, no, they can use one of those devices that goes into like the cup holder. It's like a screen that you move up, but they're notoriously unreliable. And this is what has happened. So they all walked out in protest over it. That movie that, what is it called? Magazine Dreams is supposed would be really good one of those to watch out for okay controversial social media star andrew tate right he's in custody in romania i actually have a new update for you his detention has now been extended another 30 days he and his brother tristan did appeal the 30-day custody before they did not win them uh the two of them plus the two women who were arrested will be held for another 30 days so that's going to be until at least february 27th so this guy's a tic-tac sensation

01:56:53 - 01:56:53 | Speaker 3:

Right

01:56:53 - 01:56:55 | Speaker 2:

I would not say sensation

01:56:55 - 01:57:05 | Speaker 3:

Well he's got a million He's got a bajillion followers He's like Become popular on TikTok And He goes over to Where was it again Romania Romania And

01:57:05 - 01:57:07 | Speaker 2:

Well he was fleeing the police Here in the United States

01:57:07 - 01:57:15 | Speaker 3:

Yeah And it They found They found out over the holidays When we were on break They found out that this guy Was part of A trafficking ring

01:57:15 - 01:57:32 | Speaker 2:

Well they knew They just didn't know Where he was That was the problem And he was in hiding He ran from the United States To go to Romania He got into the Twitter beef with Greta Thunberg He posted a video where he had a Romanian pizza In front of him The Romanian police realized he was back in Romania They were waiting for him to come back

01:57:32 - 01:57:33 | Speaker 3:

He's from Chicago, which is interesting

01:57:33 - 01:57:41 | Speaker 2:

But he's from, I believe, Romania He just lived in Chicago Or maybe he has lived in both countries For an extended period of time

01:57:41 - 01:57:53 | Speaker 3:

I found it interesting that I would see some of his TikToks Every now and again and see this extravagant lifestyle That this guy had And this guy's like the new Jeffrey Epstein Because a lot of people are saying that there's a ton of celebrities that were hanging out with him.

01:57:53 - 01:58:02 | Speaker 2:

Which, if you listen to his content and what he was promoting to his young viewers, it was highly misogynistic. It was very much women are property. It is very much women don't deserve the right to have jobs.

01:58:02 - 01:58:11 | Speaker 4:

And that's the scary thing. He had a younger dude following for the longest time, like before this all. I mean, he's the biggest douche in the world.

01:58:11 - 01:58:18 | Speaker 3:

I wonder if these celebrities are going to be caught in some of these photos with him because they say that a lot of celebrities hung out with him.

01:58:18 - 01:59:01 | Speaker 5:

I haven't seen any of those yet, but I saw this morning YouTube was under a lot of pressure because they're showing how easily that his videos, even though he's supposed to be banned on there, how quickly videos are recommended to young kids who are watching, like doing video games. You know how kids will watch the other people play video games? Well, there's a lot of parents coming forward saying, man, I set my child up with a child-restricted, heavily restricted content filters to let them watch these video games. And within a half hour, there's Andrew Tate videos being pushed on the kids, Shane. All you need to be happy with the 30 hot women and $100 million in the bank, and they're getting pushed. He's getting pushed to them.

01:59:01 - 01:59:06 | Speaker 2:

He also did videos on how to traffic women and profit off of it. Like, he did explanation videos.

01:59:06 - 01:59:21 | Speaker 3:

I think the pedophilia that's going on right now in, you know, these reality stars, but also these regular stars, I can't believe that there's no government person that has come out against it. It's almost kind of like they just allow this to happen. But it's crazy.

01:59:22 - 01:59:32 | Speaker 2:

Sam Smith was on the Drew Barrymore show and talked about the weirdest thing that Sam heard about themselves. Apparently, it is a theory that Sam is actually another celebrity.

01:59:33 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 1:

Everyone seems to think that I'm Adele. in drag because we've never been seen in the scene in the same room together and if you slow down her voice it sounds maybe a bit like mine so people think that we're the same person and i'm just in drag right now here's the thing at first i thought that was absolutely

01:59:59 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 2:

millions.

02:00:00 - 02:00:11 | Speaker 4:

saying it not possible here's what adele sounds like slow down oh my gosh oh my gosh

02:00:11 - 02:00:29 | Speaker 3:

I never thought in my entire life that Reese, our director of social impact, nice young guy here.

02:02:16 - 02:02:16 | Speaker 5:

Very nice young guy.

02:02:16 - 02:02:58 | Speaker 2:

would ever be known as the smelly guy at the gym but he potentially could have been if it wasn't for his findings that you had so what so you've been first off you how often you go to the gym you're you've been going a lot lately so my new year's resolution has been two times a week it seems like you're doing it more because i look at those pictures that you post you've been looking i do i follow you hey what is your what is your uh your handle reese uh at reese scatting and you spell it kind of funky yeah r-h-y-s and then another s-c-a-d-d-e-s can't you be like on air mic or something like that can't you be like something like you know i know it's your it's your personal

02:02:58 - 02:03:39 | Speaker 5:

though right yeah you know how about smelly gym guy it might as well be now because when i went to the gym this past weekend i realized that my gym bag smelt like death and when i was trying to figure out why it smelled so bad i i couldn't figure it out at first but then i realized there was a bag on top of my gym bag for the past two weeks this bag had a tray of food that my mom had made me from two weeks ago so by the time that i realized that this tray of food was at the bottom of this bag it already like juiced through it was like disgusting and it like contaminated

02:03:39 - 02:03:46 | Speaker 1:

everything around it too so when you say a tray of food like what did she like it's not in tupperware

02:03:46 - 02:03:55 | Speaker 5:

or something it wasn't tupperware but it was so gross that it went through the tupperware dude and it was like a giant tray of food too shout out to my mom sorry that i didn't

02:03:55 - 02:04:09 | Speaker 2:

um so you would bring you would bring your stuff in your bag to the to the gym and you would smell this but only thinking that it was your gym clothes that was smelling or what honestly right

02:04:09 - 02:04:20 | Speaker 5:

when i went to go grab my gym bag i noticed it right away it was that bad so i didn't even make it to the gym with the gym bag i kind of tossed it right away but you know it's funny we we've all

02:04:20 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 2:

known of the smelly gym person. And I'm not going to say guy, but mainly his guys. The smelly gym guy. And there's nothing worse than that guy that smells, because I don't think he necessarily smells all the time. He just smells when he's at the gym. And there was Johnny Vaughn was my guy. Johnny Vaughn was a guy that he would eat garlic all the time. So when he would sweat, it would come out of his pores, and he He smelled like a Bucca de Beppo when he would work out, but not in a good way. He smelled like a bad Bucca de Beppo.

02:05:00 - 02:05:10 | Speaker 5:

Maggiano's or whatever kind of Italian Olive Garden. Don't ruin our dinner for us But he would smell like garlic And it's Awful. And for some people it just comes

02:05:10 - 02:05:13 | Speaker 7:

Out their pores. Like they could be Showering and everything. It doesn't matter

02:05:13 - 02:05:24 | Speaker 6:

When I got on a treadmill I noticed that the people Around me got off. So I was getting Really self-conscious at the fact that I still Smell. Oh no! No! You know what mine is sometimes

02:05:24 - 02:05:43 | Speaker 4:

Is sometimes I'll go and then when I Leave the gym instead of not putting my coat on because you always smell after you leave the gym i'll put my coat on and not think about it and then wear my coat home and then my coat my the armpits in it smell so bad because i don't realize how much that i've just sweat in the gym clothes and now it's in that coat it's the worst

02:05:43 - 02:05:58 | Speaker 5:

i never know mike what i always just put try to put a sweatshirt on right afterwards and then go out with a sweatshirt but when it's you know cold outside like it is now i uh i always freeze even more but you're right though you sweat you sweat through the your coat and you don't even notice

02:05:58 - 02:06:03 | Speaker 4:

that the smell is getting on your winter coat so bad just the armpits of my coat stink

02:06:03 - 02:07:16 | Speaker 5:

you know one of my favorites is my favorite is going to the gym with the guy that just came from work that wears a suit and tie and he goes to the gym and then he tries to put on that really nice dress coat that he has and he's like walking around he looks like a flasher he's got like his shorts on underneath that that long coat he's like running to the car outside of the planet fitness by the way this is the judgment-free zone once you're inside the building but we're talking about out in the parking lot we're not allowed reese is not allowed to be called the the smelly gym guy no you can call me that because it was that bad um i think i mentioned this i probably did about how my right armpit is overactive and i've been smelling like crazy lately So it's gotten, it's gotten really bad. The other thing that's gotten bad, and I don't know if women want to share with us, their guys smell shells. So I'm growing my beard out. I'm trying to get, cause I've noticed this. If I let my beard grow, it gets, it gets darker and I don't look as, uh, as gray. So if I let the thing kind of like go a little bit, it kind of goes. and I'm starting to like, like, I want to be like one of those guys that has one of those big old thick bushy beards.

02:07:17 - 02:07:19 | Speaker 4:

Like a long beard? Oh, yeah. Just a short, thick beard.

02:07:19 - 02:07:38 | Speaker 5:

No, I want, like, a good size. Like, I want it to be, I want to try to find a good barber. Does anybody know of a good barber that can give me a little trim? You just need to keep it shaped. I want it nicely shaped. But Chelsea informs me, like Reese and him being a smelly guy, my beard smells. Ew.

02:07:38 - 02:07:42 | Speaker 7:

Oh, God, that's so gross. And she says I have stuff in my beard.

02:07:42 - 02:07:48 | Speaker 5:

But I shampoo my beard and I condition it with her stuff. Yeah, when you leave the house.

02:07:48 - 02:07:55 | Speaker 7:

But, Mojo, we see how you wear your lunch. Like, you always spill everything on your sweater. So that means it's also dribbling into your beard.

02:07:55 - 02:08:05 | Speaker 2:

I used to date a guy with a crazy beard. And the amount of food that we get, it was so gross. It's so disgusting. And here's the thing. A well-manicured beard.

02:08:06 - 02:08:07 | Speaker 5:

Yes, but I need to find somebody.

02:08:08 - 02:08:13 | Speaker 2:

No, it's only well manicured the day a guy gets it groomed, and then it's gross for a month. I know.

02:08:13 - 02:08:23 | Speaker 4:

I got to find a barber. I really do. The best way to make it so it doesn't smell is beard oil, like specific beard oils that smell like rich mahogany.

02:08:23 - 02:08:30 | Speaker 5:

And Mike, Chelsea hates the beard oil. Really? Allie loves it. Chelsea thinks that the beard oil smells like a musty grandpa.

02:08:31 - 02:08:32 | Speaker 4:

Have her pick one out.

02:08:32 - 02:08:41 | Speaker 5:

See if you like it. I'm thinking about going to that beard store in the mall. Reese, will you come here for one second? I am not spilling that beard. There's no chance I can do that. I'll give you a dollar.

02:08:41 - 02:08:42 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I'm going to gag.

02:08:43 - 02:08:44 | Speaker 7:

I can't.

02:08:44 - 02:08:46 | Speaker 3:

I'll then mail you $5.

02:08:46 - 02:08:49 | Speaker 6:

Can you close up on these cameras? I can close up on the cameras, but I can't spell that.

02:08:49 - 02:08:50 | Speaker 3:

It's $5.

02:08:51 - 02:08:53 | Speaker 5:

Does it smell? Smell the beard. Smell the beard for $5.

02:08:53 - 02:08:55 | Speaker 3:

I'm not smelling too much from over here.

02:08:55 - 02:08:58 | Speaker 5:

Here. Smell my fingers. Smell my fingers.

02:08:59 - 02:09:03 | Speaker 4:

What would you smell first, the fingers or the beard? Probably the fingers.

02:09:05 - 02:09:05 | Speaker 5:

Lindsay.

02:09:07 - 02:09:07 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

02:09:07 - 02:09:09 | Speaker 5:

Hi, what did you want to say to Reese?

02:09:10 - 02:09:19 | Speaker 1:

Oh, he sounds exactly like Tom Holland, and every morning on the way to preschool, whenever he gets on, the boys think that it's Spider-Man.

02:09:21 - 02:09:25 | Speaker 6:

Reese, Spider-Man's here. Say hello to the boys in the car. Spider-Man's here.

02:09:25 - 02:09:27 | Speaker 1:

Boys, it's Spider-Man.

02:09:27 - 02:09:28 | Speaker 6:

What's up, boys?

02:09:28 - 02:09:29 | Speaker 1:

Spider-Man's on the phone.

02:09:30 - 02:09:36 | Speaker 6:

How's it going? Just saving the world. It's Smelly Spider-Man. One spider at a time.

02:09:36 - 02:09:37 | Speaker 2:

Where do you live, Spider-Man?

02:09:38 - 02:09:40 | Speaker 6:

In a... Where Spider-Man lives.

02:09:41 - 02:09:43 | Speaker 2:

They're getting all excited. It's the real Spider-Man.

02:09:44 - 02:09:45 | Unknown:

Hey, Spider-Man!

02:09:46 - 02:09:47 | Speaker 6:

What's up, kids?

02:09:50 - 02:09:52 | Speaker 1:

This is a morning occurrence. Thanks, guys.

02:09:54 - 02:09:56 | Speaker 5:

It's going to be a long, loud car ride. Thank you, Lindsay.

02:09:57 - 02:09:58 | Speaker 1:

No problem.

02:09:58 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 5:

Bye, guys. We'll see ya.

02:10:00 - 02:10:13 | Speaker 3:

Goodbye. People are sending me some names here. Barber Pat, the owner of the Hair Bandit in Pleasant Ridge. Rocco's Barbershop in Chesterfield. They do straight razor shaves. I love it.

02:10:13 - 02:10:17 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, but you don't want a straight razor shave, right? No, but you want to shape the beard. You want to keep it going.

02:10:17 - 02:10:24 | Speaker 3:

I think when they do straight razor, they'll clean your neck up a little bit, and then they'll clean this part, too. So I could probably see what we got here.

02:10:25 - 02:10:35 | Speaker 4:

And then go to Detroit Grooming Company. They got the oils. Have Chelsea smell those They smell good Wait, where's Detroit Grooming Company at? I don't know the location

02:10:35 - 02:10:39 | Speaker 5:

They sell it in City Bird There's a couple gift shops downtown you can buy them

02:10:39 - 02:10:43 | Speaker 3:

I wrote them online Oh, so Detroit Grooming Company is not a store It's actually just stuff that you can buy

02:10:43 - 02:10:54 | Speaker 4:

It's like a company that does all sorts of beard stuff It focuses specifically It's where I get online And all the names of the oils are like Woodward And Michigan stuff Interesting

02:10:54 - 02:11:17 | Speaker 3:

I'm sorry, but hold on a second Ashley's on the phone with us. And Ashley's husband has a title that, to me, I would love to have. Like, he's got to be a macho, like, really kind of manly guy, kind of like Spider-Man over here to my left. Can I talk to Ashley? No? Is she there? Oh, Ashley, will you tell us what your husband's title is?

02:11:19 - 02:11:35 | Speaker 1:

Well, so my husband just cuts hair. He's had a full-time job, but he cuts hair. He went to barber school as well as Cosmetology school But he is like Awesome with beards We call him a beard master

02:11:35 - 02:11:37 | Speaker 3:

He's a beard master

02:11:37 - 02:11:42 | Speaker 1:

So what would he recommend for Mojo's

02:11:42 - 02:11:49 | Speaker 5:

Crumb catcher over here that he's got You know smells As soon as he leaves the house he's getting Stuff in there

02:11:49 - 02:11:58 | Speaker 1:

Well I would have to ask him for sure I know he puts the beard oil but mojo was saying his wife doesn't like the beard oil i think i might have the wrong

02:11:58 - 02:12:09 | Speaker 3:

02:12:20 - 02:12:24 | Speaker 3:

Could he come in studio some morning and give us a shave?

02:12:26 - 02:12:30 | Speaker 1:

He very well may be interested in doing that. Can I ask him and get back to you guys?

02:12:30 - 02:12:32 | Speaker 3:

Ask him and then call us back. Hang on the line.

02:12:32 - 02:12:36 | Speaker 5:

We'll put you on with KP, our producer, so you can arrange on a day that he can sneak into work late.

02:12:38 - 02:12:41 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, he works second shift, actually, so he could do mornings.

02:12:41 - 02:12:44 | Speaker 3:

No, that's great. That's fantastic. And he has a nicely groomed beard.

02:12:46 - 02:12:47 | Speaker 1:

Yes, he's got an awesome beard.

02:12:47 - 02:12:56 | Speaker 3:

Send us a picture. KP's going to get some info from you, but I want to see a picture of what he looks like. Because there are certain guys that have these great, unbelievable beards.

02:12:56 - 02:12:59 | Speaker 5:

And then there's the crazy uncles. We're not going to tell you which one Mojo looks like.

02:12:59 - 02:13:00 | Unknown:

Yeah.

02:13:02 - 02:13:05 | Speaker 3:

Thank you for the call. Would you like to talk to Spider-Man? Hold on. Spider-Man's home.

02:13:05 - 02:13:06 | Speaker 1:

Let's go.

02:13:07 - 02:13:12 | Speaker 3:

It's me, Spider-Man. By the way, I'm getting you a Cosmo.

02:13:13 - 02:13:14 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to Spider-Man.

02:13:14 - 02:13:28 | Speaker 3:

All right. It is the Mojo in the morning show. If you are a fireman, you are going to call Megan up and yell at her right now. We have any firemen listening to the show? Any of our firefighters?

02:13:29 - 02:13:31 | Speaker 2:

Can only the single ones call in, please?

02:13:32 - 02:13:36 | Speaker 3:

What exactly, Megan, did you want to talk about here?

02:13:36 - 02:13:49 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so we all know that I am a Dumas, right? Didn't have to laugh that quickly, but okay. At least I didn't agree. I thought somebody was going to be like, no, no, no, no, of course not.

02:13:49 - 02:13:51 | Speaker 4:

I mean, your only friend didn't laugh, if that helps.

02:13:51 - 02:13:53 | Speaker 2:

Thank you, Michael. No, no, no, no, no, no, no.

02:13:53 - 02:13:56 | Speaker 5:

I'm withholding any reaction until I see what the story is.

02:13:56 - 02:14:04 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so I was watching a TikTok with a smoke detector that was, like, beeping in the background. You know how they do that when your batteries are starting to run a little bit low and they're, like, beep?

02:14:05 - 02:14:05 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, chirps.

02:14:06 - 02:14:56 | Speaker 2:

Oh, chirp is a great description of what that is. Okay, so my brother, who is usually annoyed with me, was very annoyed because I was playing this TikTok. TikTok like it was short so it just kept repeating over and over and over again it was like what is that I was like oh like you know that's the sound that your smoke detectors make when you don't change the batteries it's just like a quick little warning he goes oh ours has never done that do you do you change the batteries all the time and I went I thought I thought you changed the batteries because we've lived here three years and I've never changed the batteries in any of my smoke detectors so then I'm thinking you know what maybe they're hardwired in oh my god I'm so lucky i get up off of the couch i go look i have forgotten that when i moved in three years ago i took down the smoke detectors because i had bought new ones and i never put the new ones

02:14:56 - 02:15:22 | Speaker 5:

oh wow fire burning three years three years i have not had a smoke detector opened up my kitchen cabinet which you can tell how often i cook because i opened up the kitchen cabinet and there were the two brand new smoke detect i have smart smoke detectors how long have you lived in this three years and i've had them for three years they're ring ones so they connected my ring app and tell

02:15:22 - 02:15:39 | Speaker 2:

me if there's ever an issue never installed them do you understand megan how many times Sometimes our friends that are firefighters will tell us that they'll go to a fire and they'll find out that the people didn't have fire smoke detectors that worked.

02:15:39 - 02:15:40 | Speaker 5:

I had them.

02:15:41 - 02:15:42 | Speaker 2:

In the drawer.

02:15:42 - 02:15:45 | Speaker 5:

I had them. They just weren't on the wall. Turned on.

02:15:45 - 02:16:04 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Can we have a conversation about this right now? Mr. and Mrs. is firefighter? I watch Chicago Fire every week. I love that show. Um, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Oh.

02:16:10 - 02:16:17 | Speaker 3:

We're talking about a girl that has left her hair straightener plugged in maybe once or twice and walked out.

02:16:17 - 02:16:19 | Unknown:

What? What are you, what? Me?

02:16:20 - 02:16:25 | Speaker 5:

The girl who burns candles every day? Whose best friend's apartment burned down because of a candle? What?

02:16:25 - 02:16:26 | Speaker 4:

Oh, God.

02:16:26 - 02:16:26 | Speaker 5:

What?

02:16:28 - 02:16:34 | Speaker 2:

Megan, you at times give me vibes that you've got grown-up feels to you.

02:16:34 - 02:16:34 | Speaker 5:

No, I don't.

02:16:36 - 02:16:48 | Speaker 2:

There are times where I sit there and I go, wow, she's actually grown up a lot. She owns her own home. You know, she's good about making her payments on time for her car payment.

02:16:48 - 02:16:52 | Speaker 3:

And there's other days we want her to get into a conservatorship so we can really keep an eye on her.

02:16:53 - 02:16:55 | Speaker 5:

Who's running my conservatorship?

02:16:55 - 02:17:10 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Like, texters right now are like, there are people that are very upset with Megan right now. They're like, Megan, I love, here's, this is 231. I love Megan so much. She's my favorite on the show. And she goes and does this.

02:17:10 - 02:17:13 | Speaker 5:

I know. But you're going to tell me you guys have never forgotten to do something?

02:17:15 - 02:17:15 | Speaker 2:

Ever.

02:17:16 - 02:17:17 | Speaker 5:

Are you better than me?

02:17:17 - 02:17:27 | Speaker 2:

No, but this is your segment. I didn't decide to bring this whole thing up. I would have never brought that up. I would have just fixed my, I would have said I've already fixed it. Have you changed it, by the way?

02:17:27 - 02:17:31 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, of course I wasn't going to do this until I actually installed the new ones.

02:17:31 - 02:17:38 | Speaker 2:

So you now have working in your house, not just the one, but throughout your house.

02:17:38 - 02:17:43 | Speaker 5:

I don't have working plumbing, and my house definitely needs to be rewired, but everything else is great.

02:17:43 - 02:17:48 | Speaker 3:

We should probably have a hot single firefighter come just to check and make sure you put everything up correctly.

02:17:48 - 02:17:50 | Speaker 5:

I'm okay with that.

02:17:50 - 02:18:15 | Speaker 2:

uh 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 another texter here this is from 248 says megan we lost our house in uh sterling heights our house burned down because we didn't have working smoke detectors we would have been able to put the small fire out if we would have known

02:18:15 - 02:18:22 | Speaker 5:

I've only set four fires in my life In my dad's house So it's not like I have a history of this

02:18:22 - 02:18:26 | Speaker 2:

Hi Mojo in the morning What would you like to say to Megan? Hello

02:18:26 - 02:18:32 | Speaker 4:

Oh would you like to say something to Megan?

02:18:32 - 02:18:33 | Speaker 2:

Misfit Victor?

02:18:33 - 02:18:35 | Speaker 4:

I would like to come to Megan's defense on this

02:18:35 - 02:18:35 | Speaker 2:

Why is that?

02:18:36 - 02:18:42 | Speaker 4:

Well remember that one time when she overslept Like do you really think A smoke alarm is going to wake her up?

02:18:42 - 02:18:54 | Speaker 2:

That is so true. Victor, I never thought about that. She's led through a fire alarm, the fire department, and the police department all trying to break her door down.

02:18:54 - 02:18:56 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so who needs those?

02:18:57 - 02:19:04 | Speaker 5:

Save your money. Victor, I never thought I would say this. Thank you so much. You're welcome.

02:19:05 - 02:19:11 | Speaker 2:

Bye-bye. I was looking for other fire songs.

02:19:11 - 02:19:12 | Speaker 5:

This is a good one, though.

02:19:12 - 02:19:12 | Speaker 2:

Isn't it good?

02:19:22 - 02:19:23 | Speaker 4:

Alicia Keys?

02:19:23 - 02:19:28 | Speaker 2:

Girls on Fire? Oh, Girls on Fire. That's a good one. Yeah, thank you, Mike. What's up, Shelby?

02:19:29 - 02:19:34 | Speaker 1:

Hi. So I actually have a story about how my fire extinguisher malfunctioned.

02:19:34 - 02:19:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really? Okay. Tell us. What happened?

02:19:37 - 02:19:54 | Speaker 1:

So I was living in an apartment when I was at college, and at like 3 in the morning, My fire alarm went off And we had to call the fire department It came out all full of gas masks and everything And it was just improperly wired Into my apartment complex And the alarm was going off for about four hours I had no idea how to shut it off

02:19:54 - 02:20:07 | Speaker 2:

Oh jeez You know what the sad part is? There are people that will that will, like, oh, I'm just annoyed by the sound of this whole thing. And they'll turn it off or unplug it or pull it out of the wall, right?

02:20:09 - 02:20:17 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I attempted, and it just turned off, and my dog ended up, like, creeping out. We had to evacuate, take all of our animals out, and it was just a big ordeal at, like, 4 in the morning.

02:20:18 - 02:20:26 | Speaker 2:

Apartment complexes always scared me when I was living in an apartment complex. You're always at the whim of some bad cook that could live on the wall behind you.

02:20:26 - 02:20:29 | Speaker 1:

Somebody gets distracted and walks away, starts a grease fire.

02:20:29 - 02:20:30 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, Erin?

02:20:31 - 02:20:43 | Speaker 4:

Hi. I was just telling C.C. about it'll be two years in March, our house burned down. We lost everything. We walked out that night in just our pajamas. But thankfully, with the smoke detectors, we, you know, all got out safe.

02:20:44 - 02:20:46 | Speaker 2:

See, Megan, that could happen to you, too.

02:20:47 - 02:21:12 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, you don't want it to happen. It was probably the worst thing ever that happened to us. But I will tell you, I've been wanting to tell you guys this for the longest time. And your show was the only thing that kept me going because we used to have to drive for two weeks. We drove every day back from Freeland to Waterford to take my son to school. And I turned your show on every morning because it was the only thing that made me feel normal again. And so I really appreciate you. That's awesome. Have a lot of love for you.

02:21:12 - 02:21:15 | Speaker 2:

And then you heard Megan talk about this and it brought back bad memories.

02:21:16 - 02:21:23 | Speaker 4:

Right. I was like, oh, my gosh, what is happening here? But no, it's all good. Just make sure you get your smoke detectors working. They are. I promise they are.

02:21:23 - 02:21:42 | Speaker 2:

We've shamed her back into it. This is a different version of the song. I don't know where this one came from. It's an interesting one. It's like a live version. It's for Megan. All right. Well, you know what? I appreciate you bringing it up. Not every story should we ever on our show bring up that makes us look good.

02:21:43 - 02:21:47 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. God forbid I talk nice about it myself for once.

02:21:47 - 02:22:10 | Speaker 2:

All right. Mojo in the morning show. What'd you guys do this weekend? Can we go around the room real quick and talk about what we did over the weekend? I'll start by saying we went to dinner with friends on Friday, and then on Saturday, I took my wife on a date. And we went to a place I've never been to before by our house called Benstein's Grill.

02:22:11 - 02:22:12 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I love Benstein's Grill.

02:22:12 - 02:22:13 | Speaker 2:

Have you been there before?

02:22:13 - 02:22:14 | Speaker 1:

All the time, yeah. I love it.

02:22:14 - 02:22:18 | Speaker 2:

I had never been there. First off, it's like a mirage in the desert.

02:22:18 - 02:22:18 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:22:18 - 02:22:19 | Speaker 2:

It's not a lot.

02:22:19 - 02:22:22 | Speaker 1:

it's all neighborhoods back there there's not a lot going on it's in commerce township and i'm

02:22:22 - 02:23:57 | Speaker 2:

like wow and we ordered on doordash from there and i thought oh it's pretty good i said let's just go first off not a great idea to go to on a on a saturday or yeah saturday night because we walk in it's like million cars in the parking lot and they're like yeah it's like a 30 minute to an hour wait i'm like is it closer to 30 minutes to an hour or which one is it but i but we were out there and there's nothing else around in that area to go to always packed so i craft beer selection did you get the brussels salad it's very good um actually uh i did not i ended up getting this uh shrimp shrimp and grits thing that was good but let me ask you guys a quick question because this one was a like an you know head scratcher for me we put our name in and said all right we'll put our name in whatever you know let's just go get some cocktails and the bar is packed all right i don't know what the etiquette is to wanting to order a drink but there's no place to actually get like a drink like there's not like a go walk up area and i am always like weird there's people like sitting there and they're eating or they're drinking you feel awkward and so i'm the guy like i'm sitting there like waving my hand i'm like trying to get my teacher's attention in the back of the classroom and stuff and then finally i just said screw it i got to so he was getting the bartender was getting a guy's drink order so i kind of like you know moved my big fat self up to the guy and excuse me can i get my my wife a drink and i a drink and so i kind of did that and i didn't know if that was a bad etiquette or not the guy was actually really nice and actually you know what it did he ended up going oh you know what we'll wrap up and he ended up giving us his seats nice yeah which was really nice bullied him right out of his

02:23:57 - 02:24:26 | Speaker 1:

well done no it's tough to know the etiquette it depends on the place because i've meg and i are big bar sitters we go to the restaurant and sit at the bar no matter what we just love sitting there but there's people you know you have to understand if the place is full and crowded i'll always help people out and get their drink order and stuff but once we get our meals do not hover and do not reach over and no then you got to move down to someone else on the bar don't be trying to wedge your way in when the two of us have plates on it and you're going to be hovering over our dinners

02:24:26 - 02:24:35 | Speaker 2:

throw elbows i kind of did that it was bad i felt i felt awful about doing it but it was good it was good time how about you guys what did you guys do this weekend spike uh friday night was a

02:24:35 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 1:

movie night well actually uh megan her son watched while i fell asleep on the couch i saw now how that goes um saturday went to detroit derby girls downtown watched them beat each other up on roller skates then we went out to dinner with friends shout out to amici's and berkeley is always good uh then i went to my old hood for some poker and to watch the eagles win and then yesterday i just did some housework and made a snowman with the the little six-year-old so wow that's a

02:25:00 - 02:25:07 | Speaker 4:

That's a busy weekend. Megan, what did you do this weekend? What's your name?

02:25:07 - 02:25:11 | Speaker 1:

He could have decided who he wanted to ask for. I guess I'll go with Megan.

02:25:11 - 02:25:19 | Speaker 4:

I'll go with you next. I was going to go KP sitting right next to Spike, but I gave you seniority. You've been here longer than me.

02:25:19 - 02:25:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, thanks. Appreciate it. You know what I did? I went out to Brewfest. That was happening at Fifth Third Field in Toledo. That's where the Mudhens play. That was so much fun Could not believe How many Detroiters Came down for that That was insane But as I was out It was ending I was texting my dad Because he lives downtown I said hey We should get together He was out at a fancy bar He already had plans He was already doing something So I met up with him So he would foot the bill For my expenses Yes I did Then I kicked him to the curb And went back out With my friends again After I got the good drinks You know what

02:25:52 - 02:26:36 | Speaker 1:

Speaking of expenses It is so much money To go out For just a simple Bar night Can I tell you i gotta tell you how much i spent this past weekend please i went out with my friend uh betsy we went out in royal oak we visited that new bar called the double o where hop cat used to be yeah yeah really fun it was packed um but the bar we went to before ended up charging us like a cover we didn't pay because we they still charge cover charges yes the new bar they did charge a cover but the one that we normally go to I'll just throw it out there, O'Toole's I love O'Toole's they told us that there was a cover and then we go in to go get some money out of the ATM we come back and they're not charging this entire group of girls cover so we leave

02:26:36 - 02:26:39 | Speaker 4:

wait, what do you mean they're not charging the entire group? KP, what?

02:26:39 - 02:27:17 | Speaker 1:

they tried to charge us cover but not the people behind us shut up so we left, we're like yeah, we've been here a lot that does not happen and we're gonna leave that's discriminatory but anyway, how much I spent we like not only does it cost money to get the outfit before you go out yeah a lot you got to get the pre-game beverages from the gas station then you got an uber yep then two ubers because or not even two probably more than two because you go to different places yeah and then you're in royal oak walk around yeah luckily in royal oak you don't need too many ubers it's just to and from but in other places you want to go like detroit and then switch cities or something so

02:27:17 - 02:27:19 | Speaker 4:

Well, how much money did it end up costing you?

02:27:19 - 02:27:28 | Speaker 1:

I put the bill for most of our drinks. I ended up spending $85 for one night, and then she spent $25.

02:27:28 - 02:27:29 | Speaker 4:

She had done dry January.

02:27:29 - 02:27:34 | Speaker 1:

Bro, you know what was the most, though? The McDonald's at the end. The drunk McDonald's.

02:27:35 - 02:27:58 | Speaker 4:

You know what you needed? You needed Megan's dad to come and buy you. I just caught Megan in my life. Hell yeah. Real quick, go back on something. By the way, anybody got questions on any of the stuff we're talking about, feel free to call in 844 Mojo Live. Why do you think that they didn't charge the people behind you? Did they know them or were the girls significantly hotter than you guys? Or what's the story?

02:27:59 - 02:28:17 | Speaker 1:

I think that both Betsy and I are pretty attractive girls. Yeah, you're very attractive. I don't think that that was the issue. I think it was because Betsy is kind and she said, oh, is there a cover? And I think that bouncer was like in his head, oh, we thought books. You know what I'm saying? Because he wanted to pocket it or something. I have no idea. Wow. but that's super lame.

02:28:17 - 02:28:21 | Speaker 4:

Let's get to the bottom of that. I want to know what's the story. Was that at O'Toole's or double O's?

02:28:21 - 02:28:22 | Speaker 1:

The O'Toole's.

02:28:22 - 02:28:31 | Speaker 4:

Oh, okay. Somebody call us up. Tell us. I'm putting the problem solvers on that sucker. Usually only the dumb schlubs like Mojo and I get charged. Yeah, guys.

02:28:31 - 02:28:35 | Speaker 3:

It's always ladies and free. Hot girls and free because they know we'll pay to get in and see you.

02:28:35 - 02:28:43 | Speaker 4:

It's ladies and free. Two-for-one drink specials, but fat, dumpy dudes. Yeah, we're paying double. We're paying for them. Mike, what did you do this weekend?

02:28:43 - 02:29:53 | Speaker 3:

um friday i went and uh oh my wife and i set up a valentine's day date like we're planning our valentine's day uh date a little ahead of time because we're busy so we started this thing where i went we're buying each other's outfits so i went and picked out an outfit for her and uh then the employees at uptown cheapskate which is where i went picked out an outfit for her and then ally picked out an outfit and then we're like voting on which which outfit she's gonna wear oh if you go look at the outfit that i picked out well if you go look at them all honestly uh you could tell which one i picked where are they they on your uh social media yeah yeah i uh on your mic um you could tell which one i picked because she's literally wearing nothing like she's half naked in in this little tiny dress that i picked like yeah yeah yeah uh and then oh and then i screwed up big time because and i should have put this in my topics um she asked me hey did you schedule the Shrek thing for this weekend Did you get extra tickets or whatever And I'm like the Shrek thing for this weekend I have no idea what she's talking about Oh my god so I went online And googled Shrek thing this weekend And it's a Shrek rave

02:29:53 - 02:29:56 | Speaker 2:

Are you going to go because I want to go to this And I have nobody to go with

02:29:56 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 3:

Did you say it's a Shrek rave Rave

02:30:00 - 02:30:39 | Speaker 2:

out and bought the tickets right because i thought oh shoot i screwed up i forgot to get these tickets turns out my daughter has a shrek musical at her school oh my god and you bought the rave tickets instead oh no oh it's awesome so i was supposed so i was like uh okay because i i went back and forth i'm like i have no idea what the hell she is talking about yeah what are these tickets so i'm like thinking was i because she asked me did you get extra tickets we got to make sure we have extra tickets we and i'm like shoot i screwed it up and it's this weekend and the only thing that popped up this weekend for shrek is some shrek rave you need to sell those to megan

02:30:39 - 02:30:59 | Speaker 3:

now or make megan go to cecily's shrek the musical yeah can you imagine if people mix that up and end up at cecily's school uh what's up andy hey uh so i used to work at old tools and if you ask if there's a cover, they will charge you and then the bouncers will just keep it.

02:30:59 - 02:31:05 | Speaker 1:

That's ridiculously scammy. I guess they figure if you're a rookie, if you're asking, you're willing to pay.

02:31:06 - 02:31:07 | Speaker 2:

Absolutely.

02:31:08 - 02:31:18 | Speaker 3:

That's the most ridiculous thing ever. First off, in 2023, there should never be a cover charge ever again. That seems like the dumbest idea ever to do a cover charge.

02:31:18 - 02:31:21 | Speaker 1:

Unless there's live music, because the cover, the door usually pays for the band.

02:31:21 - 02:31:23 | Speaker 3:

That's a good point.

02:31:23 - 02:31:29 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so they basically got scammed.

02:31:29 - 02:31:49 | Speaker 3:

I'm telling you, I'm sickening Rob Wolchek on those guys. I'm going to put them in the hall of shame. Have a great day. Thanks, man. I appreciate it. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. All right, Shannon back tomorrow. Megan has done a fabulous job with the Dirty on the 30 the last few mornings.

02:31:49 - 02:31:52 | Speaker 4:

That's very nice of you. Thank you. I can only say that because I got up early.

02:31:53 - 02:31:57 | Speaker 3:

By the way, we do charge a cover charge to come into the studio.

02:31:58 - 02:32:36 | Speaker 4:

Okay, Pamela Anderson is talking about an incident that took place on the set of Tim Allen's Home Improvement back in 1991. Now, she was just 23 years old when this all took place, and she's writing about it in her new memoir. In it, she says, On the first day of filming, I walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe. He opened his robe, flashed me quickly, completely naked underneath. He said it was only fair because he had seen me naked. So now we're even, and I laughed uncomfortably. Tim Allen is denying the incident, saying, no, it never happened. I would never do such a thing, but I don't know.

02:32:37 - 02:32:42 | Speaker 3:

Are we to believe, do we find her to be more believable than Tim? I always know.

02:32:42 - 02:32:47 | Speaker 1:

I do. Do you? I mean, if there were no witnesses, I guess it's just a he said, she said there.

02:32:47 - 02:32:50 | Speaker 4:

But why make it up? I don't know.

02:32:50 - 02:32:57 | Speaker 3:

I wonder if this will get bigger because that's one of those cancelable type things nowadays. When it comes back from the past.

02:32:57 - 02:33:00 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, how is she going to profit off? It seems like a weird thing to make.

02:33:01 - 02:33:10 | Speaker 1:

She's selling books. Well, she put it in her book that she's doing the PR for. That's where this revelation came from. She never shared it before until she's doing the press for this new book.

02:33:10 - 02:33:19 | Speaker 3:

I'm interested to see if this grows into something bigger. because the story is kind of like still at the surface. But I'm wondering if.

02:33:19 - 02:33:24 | Speaker 1:

And not that any time passing should ever forgive somebody if they truly did something.

02:33:24 - 02:33:39 | Speaker 3:

But it could grow to more. And we've seen in the past where a lot of these comedians have gotten called to task, which is interesting because a lot of, what's that one comedian? Why am I brain farting on it? Who was like, everybody said how dirty he was and how he was.

02:33:39 - 02:33:40 | Speaker 1:

C.K. Lewis?

02:33:40 - 02:33:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Is that his name? Louis C.K.? Louis C.K. Louis C.K. But he's back now with a vengeance He's been doing a tour Yeah, he's like selling Well, Crystal Lee I don't think is back yet I think nobody's forgiving him yet He's touring too, he has a fan base

02:33:54 - 02:33:59 | Speaker 4:

Buzz Aldrin, he's over the moon For his new wife

02:33:59 - 02:34:05 | Speaker 3:

Oh my god, you should be cancelled Because he went to the moon He went to the moon

02:34:05 - 02:34:13 | Speaker 4:

Well, he celebrated his 93rd birthday By tying the knot Yes, 93rd birthday, tying the knot with his 63-year-old wife

02:34:13 - 02:34:15 | Speaker 3:

Wait, he wasn't married to her before? Nope.

02:34:15 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 4:

They said it was a small private ceremony in L.A. They were as excited as eloping teenagers, which I have to say, his wife, Dr. Anka Farr, is stunningly beautiful. So he's definitely winning. But you know what? Speaking of Ariana Grande and NASA here, she did a video that I was absolutely dying over on Friday. I had seen it just after the show ended where she was singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow, which is kind of iconic because she's going to be playing Glinda in the new Wicked movie. But Kristen Chenoweth originated the role on Broadway, and the two of them sang Somewhere Over the Rainbow together. And it is so good. I just had to share it with you. Somewhere over the rainbow. I'm not talented.

02:35:00 - 02:35:45 | Speaker 2:

And I love the fact that Kirsten Jenner just found out that the movie is going to be two movies instead of one. She got caught on the red carpet, and they asked her about it. She was like, it is? I'm like, yes, it's a thing all of the fans have been fighting about for the past six months. Beyonce gave the performance of a lifetime this weekend while she performed in Dubai. The Beehive will lose in their minds trying to find any videos of the performances. It looked like they used a lot of signal jammers and blocked all the Wi-Fi so nobody could stream the performance. We had Blue Ivy make an appearance, and they sang Brown Skin Girl together. But Beyoncé actually did start the show by doing a little bit of Ed James. James.

02:35:57 - 02:36:00 | Speaker 3:

How'd you get this if they did that to people's phones? She knows Beyonce.

02:36:01 - 02:36:18 | Speaker 2:

I have a source. I do have a source. One thing that we did not see, or actually two things, because you brought one of them up, Mojo. No songs from Destiny's Child. Really? Also, no songs from her latest album, which was considered a love letter to queer black culture. Dubai is pretty anti-LGBTQ+.

02:36:18 - 02:36:21 | Speaker 3:

So they actually told her what songs she could do and what songs she couldn't do?

02:36:21 - 02:36:55 | Speaker 2:

Correct. Seems like they told her what her dancers could wear and a whole bunch of other stuff, too. Truly was the weekend of big shows, because Drake also did a big performance Saturday night at the legendary Apollo Theater in New York City. People were loving it. He wasn't alone. 21 Savage also showed up So did the Diplomats Kevin Durant was in attendance As well knowing that this was going to be a pretty good show Now Drake was originally Supposed to do a show at the Apollo In November but because of Takeoff's death he decided to postpone it So we finally got it this past weekend

02:36:55 - 02:37:30 | Speaker 3:

You know what you didn't talk about This morning on a totally different note That I can leave this music playing Because I like the song DeMar Hamlin actually made an appearance At the Buffalo Bills game yesterday, which didn't help the team. Man, I'm shocked that the Bill... I'm not really shocked. The Bengals are really good, and Joe Burrow is like the man. And honestly, I think that Cincinnati's going to beat Kansas City and get to the Super Bowl. I disagree. Well, then you go make your own bets on... What are you drafting?

02:37:30 - 02:37:33 | Speaker 4:

And that's a rematch from last year, right? Didn't they both?

02:37:33 - 02:37:46 | Speaker 3:

In the AFC Finals. Yeah, our conference championship. But it was cool to see DeMar Hamlin there, and he sat up in the skybox. I think that the snow probably hurt the Buffalo Bills because it was coming down.

02:37:46 - 02:37:51 | Speaker 4:

Wait, how does the snow hurt the Bills when they're the ones that play in that stadium all year and they're always snowing?

02:37:51 - 02:37:58 | Speaker 3:

They have a running quarterback, so I think that that kind of messed them up a little bit. I don't know. I could be wrong because you'd think that passing would be worse.

02:37:58 - 02:37:59 | Speaker 2:

You're never wrong.

02:37:59 - 02:38:02 | Speaker 3:

No. No. Talk about how great the Eagles looked.

02:38:02 - 02:38:03 | Speaker 2:

I loved a lot.

02:38:03 - 02:38:17 | Speaker 3:

I forgot about the fact that you were born and raised in Philadelphia and your Eagles are killing it. I thought for sure that they were a farce. This whole season, you've been watching? Well, they had a, what, they're 14-1 or whatever?

02:38:17 - 02:38:18 | Speaker 2:

No, they got three losses, right?

02:38:18 - 02:38:25 | Speaker 3:

They had a couple losses. Yeah, they have three. Two losses, two losses. Towards the end when Jalen, is it Jalen Hurd? Jalen Hurd. Yeah, when he was out, then they started losing.

02:38:26 - 02:38:26 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:38:26 - 02:38:33 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to say this, Spike. I'm going to put money on this. I'm going to say that the 49ers will beat your Eagles next week.

02:38:33 - 02:38:38 | Speaker 4:

I like that. I like that. I am nervous about it. This weekend is going to be the toughest game they've played all season.

02:38:39 - 02:38:41 | Speaker 3:

Okay. We'll see. Want to put money where your mouth is?

02:38:41 - 02:39:00 | Speaker 2:

Can I get back to the dirty? Go ahead. What do you got? Thank you. So we've got our first pictures of Kylie Jenner's son and a name reveal after waiting nearly a year. She posted the first photos of her son, Air. And it wasn't just one photo. We got a whole bunch of them. There was a little confusion over the pronunciation of her son's name.

02:39:00 - 02:39:02 | Speaker 3:

I think we still don't know what the pronunciation is.

02:39:02 - 02:39:04 | Speaker 2:

Kylie Jenner said air. A-I-R. Air.

02:39:04 - 02:39:07 | Speaker 3:

Are you sure? Because listeners are calling us out.

02:39:07 - 02:39:15 | Speaker 1:

No, they called me out because I'm dyslexic. And I tried to spell out the name and I got two of the letters mixed up. And I am dyslexic. Okay? Leave me alone.

02:39:16 - 02:39:18 | Speaker 2:

Okay. All right.

02:39:18 - 02:39:22 | Speaker 3:

Don't you remember I was in that special reading class? I can barely read you guys.

02:39:22 - 02:39:23 | Speaker 2:

It's amazing I made it this far.

02:39:23 - 02:39:25 | Speaker 3:

Did your parents ever put you in Sylvan Learning Center?

02:39:25 - 02:39:31 | Speaker 2:

No, I had to go to the classroom with no windows. That's why I read Harry Potter. It's because they were like, we're going to hold your kid back if she can't read.

02:39:33 - 02:39:47 | Speaker 3:

True story. I used to have to go with that teacher, the special teacher in the room down the hall. And it was a closet. Basically, you're going in a closet with a teacher that's teaching you how to read while all your friends are reading big books. You're reading little pamphlets.

02:39:48 - 02:39:52 | Speaker 2:

They would yell at you. It was mean. Bad memories.

02:39:52 - 02:39:56 | Speaker 4:

And it sets up the bullies for eight years of material.

02:39:57 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 2:

Check out all today's dirty by going to the dirty page.

02:40:00 - 02:40:02 | Speaker 3:

MojoInTheMorning.com I get those goosebumps every time.

02:40:03 - 02:40:10 | Speaker 5:

Get the stories you'll talk about all day on Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. And other phone scam in minutes.

02:40:14 - 02:40:33 | Speaker 1:

Time now for a phone scam. Restaurant managers probably have to deal with more BS than any other industry. The staff of one restaurant dropped in Spike's DMs and asked him to call their manager as an annoying customer. It's a Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

02:40:33 - 02:40:43 | Speaker 5:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scams. Mojo in the Morning.

02:40:46 - 02:41:00 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for calling. For large catering orders, press 1. For all other inquiries... Can I help you? Yes, hi. Can I speak to the manager, please? All right, give me one second.

02:41:03 - 02:41:05 | Speaker 3:

Hello, this is Gene. How can I help you?

02:41:05 - 02:41:08 | Speaker 2:

Yes, hello. Gene, are you the manager on duty?

02:41:09 - 02:41:11 | Speaker 3:

I am the manager on duty. How can I help you?

02:41:12 - 02:41:25 | Speaker 2:

Yes, well, please don't yell at me, but I was trying to record a TikTok in your bathroom, and the man ran in and started yelling at me because he said I don't know what he was saying, but he scared the bejesus out of me.

02:41:26 - 02:41:30 | Speaker 3:

Okay, you can't be recording people in the bathroom.

02:41:30 - 02:42:06 | Speaker 2:

No, I wasn't recording anyone, just myself. And he came in and started yelling and screaming, and I got so scared I peed my pants. And then he kept yelling, so I ran, except when I ran, I slipped in my own piddle puddle and fell. And now I'm sitting in my own pee-pee, and the man's yelling, and my phone went flying. Anyway, I left things in your bathroom. Can you please get them for me? We are really busy right now. You're welcome to come in and pick up whatever you left. Well, can you please get them and bring it out to my car? I'm sitting out in my car because that mean man that works for you is so scary. I don't want to see him again.

02:42:07 - 02:42:19 | Speaker 3:

Well, like I said, we are so busy. I can't send anyone out to your car. You are perfectly welcome to come back in and pick it up, or we'll put them in our lost and found, and you can grab them from our lost and found.

02:42:19 - 02:42:33 | Speaker 2:

But I'm not coming back in there as long as that mean man works in there. You know what I'm saying? Can you just bring my phone out to my car? It's a blue Hyundai, license plate, Echo, Charlie, Bravo, 7-7, Alpha.

02:42:34 - 02:42:40 | Speaker 3:

If you lost your phone in the bathroom and it fell on the floor, how are you calling me now?

02:42:40 - 02:42:56 | Speaker 2:

Right? Yes, that's a very good point. I'm calling you on my regular phone, not my TikTok phone. Also, I lost my bag. It's brown and has some sequins. It was a look. It's made from real crocodile and has my chihuahua dog in it.

02:42:56 - 02:42:58 | Speaker 3:

Is it a real dog?

02:42:58 - 02:43:14 | Speaker 2:

Well, yes, it's my chihuahua dog. He's in the bag, and it's probably still in the bathroom. You can't bring animals into this restaurant. Well, I did. Of course I did. He's in my TikToks with me. Just yell, Sugar, and my dog will come running, please. That's his name, Sugar.

02:43:15 - 02:43:20 | Speaker 3:

I am not anywhere close to the bathroom. I am on the floor running this restaurant.

02:43:20 - 02:43:25 | Speaker 2:

but it wasn't my fault that man was very mean to me if you're recording people in the bathroom

02:43:25 - 02:43:31 | Speaker 3:

uh we need to call the police and have them come up here and handle no i was not recording anyone

02:43:31 - 02:43:51 | Speaker 2:

in the bathroom it's what i'm saying i was just recording myself in the mirror with sugar my chihuahua dog sir people don't want to be on video we are doing a lot of talking and we're doing a not a lot of looking for sugar my chihuahua and he's gonna get into your breadsticks now Just hold the phone up and I'll call him. Sugar! Sugar, sugar!

02:43:52 - 02:43:53 | Speaker 3:

I don't have time for this.

02:43:53 - 02:43:53 | Speaker 2:

Sugar!

02:43:58 - 02:44:02 | Speaker 5:

We will, we will scam you.

02:44:21 - 02:44:49 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning Show. It's good to have you guys listening. Mojo, Spike, Shannon is out this morning. She'll be back tomorrow. We got Megan, Mike, KP, our producer, Reese, our director of social impact, Lydia, our associate producer, and Katie, our executive audio director. It's good to have you guys here. So Spike busted baking cookies, and it was busted by a neighbor?

02:44:49 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to ask any listener who's ever been busted or found out, if somebody heard you baking cookies, tell the story. Was it a neighbor, your child?

02:45:00 - 02:45:09 | Speaker 3:

A parent, who was it? Because I thought that happened to me over the weekend. Meg and I had just finished a little midday delight baking cookies, as you would say.

02:45:09 - 02:45:21 | Speaker 2:

By the way, why is it that, and listen, I know that we all, you know, enjoy, right? Sometimes. But why is it this early in the morning it makes me get a little...

02:45:21 - 02:46:20 | Speaker 3:

Well, I realize kids are in the car, so I'm trying to keep it really clean. But, but, um, so after the, after the baking, uh, I walked outside, I put my apron back on and, uh, I walked outside to my car and my neighbor, who's a retired older gentleman, uh, leaned out his window and said, I heard you two being crazy. I had to laugh. And I just, all the blood drained from my body. I was just mortified. I said, excuse me. And he continued with like, I was listening. You're crazy. And I was like, oh, my God. How? Wait, how did he hear us having sex? We didn't have any windows open. I don't think we were that loud. But secretly, you're like, yeah, high five me. Well, I'll give you the meat stick. I was like, how could he? I was like mortified because, listen, I've only moved in the neighborhood six months ago. She just wanted a piece of my meat. Oh, my God, he's going to play every drop. I love it.

02:46:20 - 02:46:22 | Speaker 2:

No, no, one more. One more.

02:46:22 - 02:47:09 | Speaker 3:

One more. The pounding begins. so i'm standing there like trying to figure out what to say and then he says where was the donut place and i said huh and then i realized he like it took a second of conversation before i realized he wasn't talking about meg and i having sex he was talking about the morning show he said he was he finally tuned in to hear a phone scam because he was talking about i think we played a scam Early Friday morning Like very early We replayed one And So he didn't know What I did till recently So he's like I'll have to listen someday And I was like Not encouraging that Because I was I was trying to get away I was trying to get away With my neighbors Not knowing what I did For as long as possible

02:47:09 - 02:47:14 | Speaker 1:

I love doing that game I love it Do you think it was The Dunkin' Donut Parking lot thing That he did?

02:47:15 - 02:47:46 | Speaker 3:

No No no no no He just did the scam thing It was just after Friday's scam Oh okay okay Are you sure? Because then he said I got the listen yesterday and i heard you talking about it and and uh so he was not referring to his humping i anyway hi daryl thanks for listening uh that's funny i was like oh my god how did he hear us we weren't well that loud and i had this moment of self-realization like i don't think we you know when i was in uh in your house and i i

02:47:46 - 02:47:55 | Speaker 2:

I got to see how close your room is to Meg's son's room. I'm thinking you ain't getting anything on the times that you guys have Meg's son.

02:47:56 - 02:48:00 | Speaker 3:

This is right before. This is the day before. Oh, okay. So we have joint custody.

02:48:00 - 02:48:09 | Speaker 2:

But am I right in saying that? When Meg's son's over, there's no way that you guys are. Because your room is like literally, they're right butted up to each other.

02:48:10 - 02:48:14 | Speaker 3:

She will anyway, because once he's asleep, he never wakes up.

02:48:15 - 02:48:16 | Speaker 1:

Must be nice. Lucky guy.

02:48:16 - 02:48:22 | Speaker 3:

I'm always a little apprehensive, like, I'm always afraid, like, I, I, that would, that

02:48:22 - 02:48:46 | Speaker 2:

would be the hardest thing to be thinking about the whole time, like, I would be, you know what I mean? Like, it's my kids, uh, my kids are, are up, we're on the first floor, my kids are upstairs and I have gone upstairs and turned the TV to a level that I think my level is at and then I'll go upstairs to go say goodnight to Luke and I'll go and I'll be like, dad, why are you on the floor? I'm like, I just want to know, Nelson, I'm just trying to listen for something. And I can hear like a creaking.

02:48:46 - 02:48:55 | Speaker 3:

Also, we have bedroom doors that don't lock. I don't have locking doors. It's like these swinging French doors that don't lock. They're just there to, like, they're almost just for looks.

02:48:55 - 02:49:01 | Speaker 2:

I would go to Home Depot immediately. Yeah. Hold on. What's up, Jenna? You there?

02:49:02 - 02:49:03 | Speaker 1:

Hey, good morning, you guys.

02:49:03 - 02:49:05 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. We're talking about getting caught.

02:49:07 - 02:49:30 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. So I was in my 20s. My boyfriend and I were expecting a baby, and his dad was so great. He would always bring me little snacks when he got done with work, you know, trying to be like, oh, you're pregnant, you have something to eat, like, enjoy. Well, we were watching a movie and also baking cookies in the living room, and he was so kind to walk in with a pizza.

02:49:31 - 02:49:33 | Speaker 2:

In the moment that you guys were doing that?

02:49:33 - 02:49:45 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. So, cookies and a pizza. And it was so funny because he was, like, super chatty Cathy, but obviously in this moment he's like, oh, okay, well, you guys have a nice day, and just walked out. I was mortified.

02:49:45 - 02:49:49 | Speaker 2:

You got to love when somebody's trying to feed you, but that's probably not the time that you want to be fed.

02:49:49 - 02:49:51 | Speaker 1:

No. Oh, it was horrible.

02:49:52 - 02:50:00 | Speaker 2:

I remember we had, when Chelsea and I first got together, we lived in an apartment. And the apartment that we lived in, the couple...

02:50:00 - 02:50:39 | Speaker 4:

that was above us always was fooling around and so we would hear their romps all the time and my buddy jumping jack who was guy who worked at the radio station came up with the idea of getting sound equipment from the radio station and tape taping them so that we could play it back for them on speakers and this is scouts honor hand of god jack did this and we recorded them and then played back for them what they sounded like, and you could hear dead silence there when they were fooling around. It was the greatest. Because you know what? Honestly, I don't, that's why I would never want to record myself baking cookies. I don't want to hear myself.

02:50:39 - 02:50:41 | Speaker 1:

No, I don't want to see myself. Yeah. Well, when

02:50:41 - 02:50:52 | Speaker 2:

I started dating Meg, I was in an apartment, and there was that realization when we heard the neighbors one time, like, oh my God, listen to that. They're so loud right through the window, and then it all of a sudden hit me, go, oh wait, that means they can hear us?

02:50:52 - 02:51:07 | Speaker 4:

I already know what I sound like just breathing heavy. Whenever I'm trying to record something, it's the worst. I'm like recording. I'm going, I'm going to walk downstairs. You know what I mean? And I'm thinking to myself, is that what I sound like?

02:51:07 - 02:51:15 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but breathing heavy while baking cookies makes sense. Breathing heavy while just trying to record your television while you're sitting on the couch. That's what it's embarrassing.

02:51:16 - 02:51:30 | Speaker 4:

I was trying to record an Xfinity endorsement thing to post up on our social media. And I'm like, I'm watching Xfinity, X1 service Why am I breathing so heavy? I'm sitting on the couch What's up, Ty?

02:51:32 - 02:51:57 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I was making cookies one time And we were in the room And I was living with my mom It was probably like 11 years ago And well, she walked in on me And my ex And then she's like, whoops, whoops, whoops I'm sorry, closed the door And then we get a good laugh And then she opens the door and goes Hey, by the way, have you guys seen my cigarettes?

02:51:57 - 02:52:06 | Speaker 2:

Oh, jeez Hey, wait, so Ty When you started preheating the oven So to speak, to bake those cookies Didn't you know Mom was home?

02:52:08 - 02:52:08 | Speaker 7:

Yeah

02:52:08 - 02:52:10 | Speaker 2:

Oh, man

02:52:10 - 02:52:17 | Speaker 4:

He thought Mom was I don't know, watching Law & Order SVU What's up, Lily?

02:52:18 - 02:52:54 | Speaker 6:

Good morning hi hi um i had a birthday party for my daughter and my dad was over and he sees a problem with one of my tractors which super thoughtful thing that i noticed it and the next day my daughter is gone to wear baking cookies in the living room and i'll suddenly hear hello hello and i freak out and like i started doing it caught when you were a teenager i started shaking and i make my husband go out there and talk to him. My dad just stopped by, fixed the tractor, didn't tell me he was coming, and just walked in the house.

02:52:54 - 02:53:02 | Speaker 4:

Isn't it funny? You're a grown woman with your own children in your own house, but getting caught by your dad at that point turns you back into that teenage girl.

02:53:02 - 02:53:07 | Speaker 7:

Oh my God, a million times and as it did come out, he's like, you okay? I was like, uh-huh, sure.

02:53:10 - 02:53:13 | Speaker 4:

It's like, Dad, call ahead. Call and tell us.

02:53:13 - 02:53:28 | Speaker 2:

How about this one? Somebody texted and said that it can't be on the radio, But this weekend, they got busted by their 11-year-old son. They said he walked in and said, uh-oh, and closed the door. And she says, when I asked him later what he saw, he said, you were trying to make me a sister.

02:53:30 - 02:54:14 | Speaker 4:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning. All right, why are you not getting a call back after you went on a date? We are going to find out. This one's an interesting one. on the phone with us are geo and kenzie and are both you guys there are both you guys uh on the phone with me right now yeah okay you're on the radio everybody okay with being on the radio yeah okay all right so i don't know which one of you guys is the better storyteller but there's Something going on where you guys aren't getting your potential relationship straight. Gio, first off, how did you guys meet?

02:54:16 - 02:54:21 | Speaker 3:

We actually just went out with a bunch of mutual friends, and we kind of got to know each other then.

02:54:22 - 02:54:33 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, okay, so you've been texting with Kinsey, is that right? Yeah. And how responsive has Kinsey been back with you?

02:54:35 - 02:54:36 | Speaker 3:

Responsive enough.

02:54:37 - 02:54:37 | Speaker 4:

Yeah?

02:54:37 - 02:54:49 | Speaker 3:

Like, yeah, we're not really in a relationship, so I'm like, when you said, like, we're here to talk about a relationship, like, I'm kind of confused on that, so I don't know, maybe you should ask Kenzie, I don't know exactly what's going on here, honestly.

02:54:50 - 02:55:00 | Speaker 4:

So, Kenzie, Gio is not giving you what you think he should be giving you if you guys are going to be in a relationship with each other. Why does he say that you guys aren't in a relationship?

02:55:00 - 02:55:31 | Speaker 3:

relationship well i mean it's not even like the relationship situation as much as it is like he's not setting up a second date so like we consider that first on our first date right and um and so we've been texting forever now and back and forth and um we keep saying like oh we should hang out we should do this thing next and like but there's never been he's never actually Gone forward and made plans For that second date

02:55:31 - 02:55:38 | Speaker 6:

So you guys go out with each other Once then you start texting with each other And how often are you guys texting

02:55:38 - 02:55:41 | Speaker 3:

I mean like on the daily

02:55:41 - 02:55:50 | Speaker 6:

Really okay And Gio what's the story Why are you not making The effort to Make another date

02:55:50 - 02:56:02 | Speaker 5:

I don't know If I'm not making an effort I'm just kind of surprised by all this Honestly, like, I kind of thought we just had, like, a silent agreement to just be casual, honestly.

02:56:03 - 02:56:08 | Speaker 1:

But casual can still mean setting up more dates. Yeah.

02:56:11 - 02:56:12 | Speaker 3:

That's confusing. Yeah.

02:56:13 - 02:56:23 | Speaker 6:

Kinsey, why aren't you just making a date plan? I mean, we live in a time where you can do it, too. You got the ability to be able to say, hey, let's go. We'll meet here.

02:56:24 - 02:56:35 | Speaker 3:

I mean, yeah, but, like, I want – what I want is a guy that's going to just, like, you know, take charge and say what he wants and know what he wants and make a plan.

02:56:35 - 02:56:40 | Speaker 5:

I mean, you can come over tonight if you want. You want to come over to my house tonight? That's cool.

02:56:42 - 02:56:49 | Speaker 6:

Are you saying that because you want her to come over for a date or are you saying that because you want her to come over and you guys bake cookies with each other?

02:56:51 - 02:56:52 | Speaker 5:

I do like cookies.

02:56:53 - 02:57:09 | Speaker 6:

so is it can i ask has it been that have you guys had like you guys went out once but have you guys just been getting together to fool around with each other when you get around get together we haven't gotten together since really okay so that so that hasn't happened so it's not like

02:57:09 - 02:57:16 | Speaker 3:

he's just using for sex all right so that's why i thought it was like going somewhere

02:57:16 - 02:57:22 | Speaker 6:

okay so why why haven't you taken the initiative of just saying all right let's go let's get

02:57:22 - 02:57:29 | Speaker 5:

together tonight I mean yeah Kinsey no Kinsey but uh I know you just did just now because we

02:57:29 - 02:58:07 | Speaker 3:

put pressure to you but Kinsey why have you not just done it um well like because I just I feel like I need a guy that's gonna like take charge like if I'm gonna date a guy like I want a guy that's gonna be you know confident about what he wants and and just be like hey let's do this this time like that's what i want some guy that's like confident in that do you think he's using you just for a relationship of talking on the phone or for attention i don't i didn't think so i mean now i'm a little bit worried but like i didn't think so i thought it was just being like wishy-washy you

02:58:07 - 02:58:14 | Speaker 6:

know um comments from listeners here dawson what are your thoughts uh your your thoughts on this

02:58:14 - 02:58:38 | Speaker 4:

relationship hey mojo i think that you know i heard what they're both saying i honestly think that you know it's 2023 like you said um i think you know the girls should kind of step up sometimes i mean if there's you know confusion maybe she should say hey i kind of like you i kind of got your vibe i think you know we should go on a second date yeah make a little bit of the effort

02:58:38 - 02:58:46 | Speaker 6:

and don't just leave it to him she though says that she thinks that he's too passive And this was what a relationship with him Will be like

02:58:46 - 02:58:54 | Speaker 4:

Yeah that's happened to me before I went out on some pretty great dates But I've been kind of ghosted on it before

02:58:54 - 02:58:58 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the morning What's going on Courtney Thanks for the call by the way Dawson What's up Courtney

02:58:58 - 02:59:21 | Speaker 2:

Hi I just want to say I fully support Kenzie Because I feel like a lot of the times Women are always doing the emotional work To plan dates To figure things out And it's just like It's just so much better Like anytime you get on a dating app A guy is just like i don't know like you want to go out it's like plan a date don't just ask me to come over your house like what are we gonna do at least make a queue like are we gonna bake pizzas together like

02:59:21 - 02:59:27 | Speaker 6:

not bake cookies make pizzas together sometimes yeah right literally don't you then feel like

02:59:27 - 02:59:49 | Speaker 1:

the pressure is on you that if it doesn't go well or if it's not what they like that you've dropped the ball and let them down it's so much pressure and i feel like guys don't realize like we put that all on our own shoulders if you would just make the plans and it doesn't have to be every time i actually think was it dawson was right like it should be both parties but every once in a while if you just made the decisions and told me when and where to show up i would be like yes

02:59:49 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 6:

it's great do you think it's it's easy for guys like guys kind of can sit back and do nothing oh yeah um you know it's two-way street i think you think

03:00:00 - 03:00:16 | Speaker 2:

so you think it's just as difficult for for i think it's tougher to date if you're a woman than it is for a guy because i think guys can guys can ask you out and go somewhere but guys also can lay back and let you know and i think women are more willing to make the effort am i wrong

03:00:16 - 03:00:26 | Speaker 1:

i don't know i don't know i mean both got to make an effort and if you don't you risk losing that person they're not if you're not showing interest in showing that you're really putting something

03:00:26 - 03:00:37 | Speaker 2:

forward to make it happen like every guy friend of mine that is right now single and on a dating app they just sit back and and it comes to them guys don't put an effort it's like them trying

03:00:37 - 03:00:41 | Speaker 1:

it depends on what you're looking for too you know you can always find somebody who's just out

03:00:41 - 03:00:55 | Speaker 2:

for one thing or just out the like they can are desperate they can have whatever kind of relationship they want to have they can have a relationship like this one where all they're going to do is text each other or talk on the phone or they can have one in person because Couldn't girls just have whatever they want?

03:00:55 - 03:00:57 | Speaker 5:

No, the guys set the expectations, I think, socially.

03:00:58 - 03:01:00 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Jasmine? Yes.

03:01:00 - 03:01:14 | Speaker 6:

I would just say that, I mean, I totally was on the same page. Like, I'm just going to wait around and wait for them to ask me out. But nowadays, we have to actually shoot our shot in order to move forward.

03:01:14 - 03:01:17 | Speaker 2:

So give some advice to Kenzie. What do you think she should do?

03:01:18 - 03:01:27 | Speaker 6:

I think, Kenzie, I think give it a try. I'm telling you, just plan something and you just never know. You never know where it's going to go, you know?

03:01:27 - 03:01:31 | Speaker 5:

But do you give it a try with the guy who just said you can come over, I guess, if you want? Right.

03:01:31 - 03:02:00 | Speaker 6:

No, no. I mean, I didn't hear that part. I'm sorry. I was listening to the beginning. But I get that. I would want somebody to take me out, too. I'm not trying to hang out at your house. We need to, you know, get to know each other outside and the public, you know, know each other, have dinner, all that before we go forward. And before I come to your house to hang out, I'm not going to do all that, you know, because they totally think something else is going to go on before we, you know, if we go over to the house and hang out. So, yeah, I get it. I get that.

03:02:00 - 03:02:02 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for the call. What's up, Tamika?

03:02:04 - 03:02:04 | Speaker 3:

Yes, hi.

03:02:05 - 03:02:07 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Tamika. What kind of advice can you give?

03:02:08 - 03:02:45 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Kinsey, girl. Like, okay, you already said multiple times what you want. You're looking for a man who's going to take charge and take you out. There are men out there that want to do that. This one, you've been talking to. He's very casual because, obviously, he said, yeah, come over and make cookies. But he had to get the pressure on him just to say that. You already know what you want. You need to seek out what you want. He's not going to give you what you want. He's casual. He's not. He even thought it was casual to begin with. So you can't make somebody want to be somebody that you want them to be. They're not in that place right now. He's not in that place. All right, Gio. Hang in there. You're going to get there eventually.

03:02:45 - 03:02:53 | Speaker 2:

I like it. I like that. By the way, you should do relationship talk on the Mojo in the Morning show Because I like that you take that effort Tamika, thank you

03:02:53 - 03:02:56 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's beautiful Have a good day, y'all

03:02:56 - 03:02:58 | Speaker 2:

Love you, bye-bye Take what's up What's up, Ashley?

03:02:59 - 03:03:01 | Speaker 5:

Good morning, guys How are you?

03:03:01 - 03:03:04 | Speaker 2:

Good second date update What did you want to say to Gio and Kenzie?

03:03:05 - 03:03:35 | Speaker 5:

Kenzie, it sounds like you are looking for a man that takes charge And wants what he wants And knows what he wants And guys know what they want And they'll make something happen if they want it to If you're feeling like he's not there all the way, make a power move. Put it up against them. Like, I asked my boyfriend to be my boyfriend because he kept saying, oh, I want this. Like, if they're serious, they'll make it happen. And if not, they're not worth your time whatsoever. Move on.

03:03:35 - 03:03:40 | Speaker 2:

I like good advice for you, Kenzie. Are you getting this? Kaylin, what did you want to say?

03:03:41 - 03:03:44 | Speaker 4:

Hey, guys. I think this girl is playing games.

03:03:44 - 03:03:47 | Speaker 2:

Whoa, wait a second. Now, why do you think she's playing games?

03:03:48 - 03:03:56 | Speaker 4:

Well, because, like, how are you going to go on the radio and complain about him not calling you back or asking you for a date when she could have easily done the same thing?

03:03:56 - 03:03:58 | Speaker 2:

So you think this is game plan?

03:03:59 - 03:04:00 | Speaker 4:

Huh?

03:04:00 - 03:04:10 | Speaker 2:

Because we do second date update to find out answers of why somebody's not interested or has lost interest. And I think that's exactly what she's doing with Gio because Gio doesn't sound like he's interested.

03:04:11 - 03:04:19 | Speaker 4:

Well, I think she probably needs to find someone else, like someone who will take charge. Clearly, I guess he's not in for it, so I don't know.

03:04:19 - 03:04:28 | Speaker 1:

I mean, you're right, Kaylin. That obvious solution would be, hey, then step up and say something. You make the move. But I guess she's more passive.

03:04:28 - 03:04:30 | Speaker 4:

Close mouths, don't get fed.

03:04:32 - 03:04:44 | Speaker 2:

All right, so where do we go with this, guys? It's like our boss when he ends a meeting. All right, where are we going to go with this? What's our action items? Yes. What are you guys going to do? Gio, Kenzie, what's the next step?

03:04:45 - 03:05:07 | Speaker 4:

you know no huh go ahead geo i was just gonna say no offense to everyone but i think everyone is just kind of overthinking this between the two of us like we're not in relationship So, like, I don't know. I felt like I was just in, like, couples counseling or something. So, from my end, it's like whatever's going to happen will happen.

03:05:08 - 03:05:13 | Speaker 3:

Well, nothing's going to happen if it's up to you. So, it sounds like you're just cool with taking your good old time.

03:05:14 - 03:05:15 | Speaker 4:

What do you have to say, Kenzie?

03:05:16 - 03:05:50 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, well, I'm liking some of the advice I heard. And, you know, the truth is that it is important for me that a guy take charge to the point where I would call the radio because I'd rather do that than ask a guy. I'm just, like, old-fashioned like that. I'd rather give him the opportunity to ask first, and it didn't work. So, like, I think he's super cool and everything, but I think that I'll just, like, hang back, and then if he wants to make a move, he can.

03:05:50 - 03:05:50 | Speaker 4:

I like it.

03:05:50 - 03:05:53 | Speaker 5:

And I can be open to that, and then I'll just wait and see what happens.

03:05:54 - 03:05:57 | Speaker 4:

Good for you. Good for you. Dina, what did you want to say real quick?

03:05:58 - 03:06:00 | Speaker 5:

Hey there. He just wants the booty.

03:06:01 - 03:06:01 | Speaker 4:

That's it?

03:06:02 - 03:06:03 | Speaker 5:

That's it.

03:06:03 - 03:06:11 | Speaker 4:

He just wants some booty. Well, he's not going to get it by just texting. My booty. That booty doesn't happen.

03:06:11 - 03:06:11 | Unknown:

True, true.

03:06:12 - 03:06:56 | Speaker 4:

All right, thanks for the call. Second date update. Those are the morning's top trending stories. All right, top trending stories of the day. I want to get to some stories that maybe Megan didn't cover this morning. Like yesterday, Lisa Marie Presley's funeral took place. The memorial took place out at Graceland with some celebrities showing up in the audience were Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York. That's interesting. Those guys had a friendship with each other. Also, Alanis Morissette was there and she even performed. And I'll play a clip of that. But Lisa Marie's mother, Priscilla Presley, spoke about her daughter.

03:06:56 - 03:07:06 | Speaker 2:

Her broken heart was the doing of her death. Now she is home where she always belonged, but my heart is missing her love.

03:07:07 - 03:07:59 | Speaker 4:

It was very nicely done how they put together the funeral service. I thought that it was beautiful how they did the gravestones. She's going to be buried right next to her son who committed suicide like a year ago. um and uh they played some nice music had some nice thoughts and stuff and it's a really tiny i didn't realize how tiny graceland is like it couldn't fit a lot of a lot of people that uh that tried to go to it here's some of the other celebrities that were there she had boy some interesting friends huh axel rose uh played on the piano and sang november rain while billy corrigan the lead singer of smashing pumpkins showed up and performed i hope he didn't do What's that song from Smashing Pumpkins that's popular? I don't know. 1970. Oh, 1979. Is that it? That's not even too funny. This is Alanis Morissette.

03:08:00 - 03:08:04 | Speaker 3:

God, please rest ourselves.

03:08:05 - 03:08:09 | Speaker 4:

She sang a song called Rest. What is rest? I've never heard of that.

03:08:09 - 03:08:10 | Speaker 1:

I think it's a song about dying.

03:08:11 - 03:08:26 | Speaker 4:

It would be weird if she did You Oughta Know. You know what I mean? It would be. In one of those songs. It would be. But I also would live. I honestly would, seriously, at my funeral, Don't play songs that are appropriate. Like, if you don't play Stevie B's Spring Love, I'm going to be pissed.

03:08:26 - 03:08:29 | Speaker 5:

I want Stevie B performing at my funeral. I want some WAP.

03:08:29 - 03:08:30 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

03:08:30 - 03:08:31 | Speaker 5:

I want something highly inappropriate.

03:08:31 - 03:08:55 | Speaker 4:

Yes, Cardi B. Here comes Cardi B at my funeral. Like, as people are walking it in. So it's like, there's some ho. Exactly. So on, I think it was Thursday night. Yeah, Thursday, President Biden spoke for the first time since they found some classified material at both his office and then at his house and he spoke and said i think you're gonna find

03:08:55 - 03:09:06 | Speaker 1:

there's nothing there i have no regrets i'm following what the lawyers have told me they want me to do it's exactly what we're doing there's no there there thank you so those were

03:09:06 - 03:10:00 | Speaker 4:

his words he said well then over the weekend it was revealed that the fbi did another search of president biden's delaware home where they found six items so not documents but items containing classified markings. A report from ABC News reports that these items are more than just documents. They actually may be some things that he was actually given by certain governments to hold on to, and it should have been given to the archives, that those guys should have had it. It's interesting. They actually just did a poll that they found that 6 in 10 Americans say say that the president should not have had these classified items i wonder what's going to happen with this thing like i wonder where this is going to go because the last two presidents all had these classified things i wonder if they went back and looked at like clinton and the bushes and all those people

03:10:00 - 03:10:14 | Speaker 3:

Maybe go back even to, you know, see if there are any Kennedys still alive or whatever. I bet you there's classified stuff at all these people's homes. But it's interesting that they'll have these things and they'll take them home with them and not properly give them back to the White House.

03:10:14 - 03:10:20 | Speaker 4:

Well, not only that, but I'm always surprised when the National Archive is like, what do you have? Like, what do you mean you don't know what they have?

03:10:20 - 03:11:02 | Speaker 2:

Well, part of the mess is the sloppiness to which we change presidents. They move the entire White House out and in. and they move presidents in the course of the three hours that the inauguration's happening. Isn't that crazy? So there's no surprise that crap gets thrown in boxes and stuff, but they're supposed to go through it, sort it out, and if anything's by mistake, they're supposed to return it. I remember reading something about all these gifts that the foreign agencies and governments give to the president while they're in office, and they're all supposed to go with the archives, but that's the reason a lot of the presidents have these libraries. It's kind of like a museum of the presidency, and then the archive just permanently loans those items to the because they're not supposed to take personal gifts but they can display it in their library or whatever

03:11:02 - 03:11:37 | Speaker 3:

Library Did you see that former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi had an exorcism at her home in San Francisco her townhome that she has there Remember back in October her husband was attacked by a guy hit over the head According to her daughter She told the New York Times That Speaker Pelosi Held her own Private exorcism To get all the bad spirits Out of the house Do you believe in exorcisms? Come on

03:11:37 - 03:11:51 | Speaker 4:

Come on I don't think I believe in exorcisms But I did grow up in a house That somebody died in And every once in a while We did bring in a priest To like Bless the house And that's probably Just like placebo effect But it did work

03:11:51 - 03:12:00 | Speaker 3:

Interesting. This story you did really early this morning, and I can't believe you didn't repeat it because it was too good of audio to not repeat. You know, Alec Baldwin is now.

03:12:00 - 03:12:02 | Speaker 4:

You just love making fun of Hilaria.

03:12:02 - 03:12:06 | Speaker 3:

I just, first off, anybody that was born Hillary.

03:12:07 - 03:12:07 | Speaker 4:

Hillary.

03:12:07 - 03:12:42 | Speaker 3:

Changes her name to Hilaria. She's born and raised in suburban Boston. And then all of a sudden has like this fake accent. Has to be called out for that. As a Cuban-American, somebody whose father emigrated to the United States on a raft floating over here. Actually, he didn't raft. He didn't come over on a raft. Fake news. But to hear her faking her accent, she spoke to the press, and the press noticed that Hilaria Baldwin, Alec Baldwin's wife, has an accent.

03:12:42 - 03:13:26 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to tell you what I'm going to say. You're not going to ask me questions. I'm going to tell you. Okay? I want you guys to realize that we have seven kids and you being here to escort them to school and to be there when they come home is not good. So on a human level, you guys know, I'm not going to say anything to you. You know that. So please leave my family in peace and let this all play out. Okay? So let my kids come home and you stay away from them. Because they asked me, Mommy, what are these people doing? And it's a very hard thing as a mom to try to explain. So please, go home.

03:13:27 - 03:13:46 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I'm not going to lie. It's hot. Like, if I could get Chelsea to talk like that, I would be so happy. You get Allie. Again, Allie's from New Wago, Michigan. New Wago, Michigan. You get Allie a little upset, though, and I don't know where it comes from. It comes out? I mean, just a little. Just a little bit. Just a little bit. But wait, when she does that, don't you get turned on? Oh, absolutely. That's so great.

03:13:47 - 03:13:54 | Speaker 2:

But remember her interviews where she was like, how you say in English? What? What? You spoke English your whole life.

03:13:57 - 03:14:13 | Speaker 3:

And finally, this is a story. Spike, I know you've been waiting for this story all morning. Fireball is being sued because some of the mini bottles aren't really whiskey. The makers of Fireball Whiskey

03:14:13 - 03:14:14 | Speaker 2:

This is going to blow your mind

03:14:14 - 03:14:59 | Speaker 3:

Are being sued because some of their mini bottles You know those little individual shots that you can buy Like at liquor stores, party stores The bottles actually don't contain whiskey In states where gas stations can't sell liquor They've been selling malt versions That's only 16.5 alcohol instead of 33% The lawsuit claims that the labels look too similar The full story is If you've been sucking down those things and thought that you were really, like, handling your booze right, not so fast. The makers of Fireball Whiskey are actually being sued for those mini bottles not containing whiskey at all. Anything that you buy at a liquor store probably does, but in states that have gas.

03:15:00 - 03:15:09 | Speaker 11:

stations that also sell liquor, they can't sell certain forms of that, which I don't think we can. I think that gas stations here or some places that have a liquor license can. First of all,

03:15:10 - 03:15:23 | Speaker 9:

anyone that's drinking Fireball because they think it's whiskey should be ashamed of themselves. Exactly. But it is funny that the labels are very, very similar. So, I mean, they're obviously trying to pull a fast one for people because you don't realize there's two different products

03:15:23 - 03:15:29 | Speaker 6:

out there. As somebody who loves Fireball, if you're drinking Fireball... You do? I do too. I do too. I do too. I really

03:15:29 - 03:15:32 | Speaker 9:

they do. I'm going to sue them for losing my pants

03:15:32 - 03:15:39 | Speaker 6:

at the last bachelor party. Now, I'm an old lady who loves gin and tonics or gin martinis, but if I have to shoot something, it's going to be tequila or fireball. That's it.

03:15:39 - 03:15:43 | Speaker 11:

I won't shoot anything else. I do fireball and then rum chata one after another.

03:15:44 - 03:15:47 | Speaker 6:

Cinnamon toast crunch. If you're already drinking this, you're making poor decisions. Yeah, right.

03:15:47 - 03:16:00 | Speaker 11:

Do you know that normal fireball is 66 proof or 33% alcohol. Gas station version that's not whiskey is only 33 proof or 16 point 5%.

03:16:00 - 03:16:11 | Speaker 9:

Also, who's buying those little airplane bottles? That is a last-minute decision. You know what? My buddy Paul Clem. I don't have any alcohol in my system right now.

03:16:15 - 03:16:26 | Speaker 3:

We're going to leave you with this. I won't even play our goodbye music. Have a great day, guys. Keep it safe. Enjoy your Monday. We'll be back Tuesday for Mojo in the Morning.

03:16:29 - 03:16:45 | Speaker 10:

Let my kids come home and you stay away from them.

03:16:45 - 03:16:50 | Speaker 6:

Because they asked me, Mommy, what, like, what are these people doing?

03:16:52 - 03:16:55 | Speaker 1:

No, they said, Mommy. Mommy. and we're bringing it back.

03:16:56 - 03:17:05 | Speaker 7:
