So I hope everybody had a good weekend. I like this. Shannon is out today. It would have been a full house if she wasn't. She's not feeling well. We have Mike and Megan in studio in Detroit with us today. The Slightly Messy Podcast. You like how we cheered for ourselves. Yeah.

00:05:00 - 00:05:01 | Speaker 1:

That's how you have to. You have to.

00:05:03 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 4:

Would it be weird if I just referred to you guys as Mike and Megan from the Slightly Messy podcast? Or should I refer to you guys as Mike and Megan? Because everybody knows you guys. You can talk to our agent about that one. Oh. I understand that you guys are in town because you guys have a big client thing about the Slightly Messy podcast. Yeah. That is a confidential thing that you guys have going on. Is that right?

00:05:26 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 2:

Really? Who are we?

00:05:27 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I know, right? I don't think it's confidential, is it?

00:05:30 - 00:05:30 | Speaker 2:

I don't think so.

00:05:30 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I thought it was confidential. I thought I heard last week that you guys said it was like this confidential thing. So you're meeting with a sponsor. Is that right?

00:05:38 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, we have a sponsor for our show. No, big deal.

00:05:41 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 4:

Big shout out to the aesthetic method. Wait, so this person, do you guys get a piece of the action?

00:05:49 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 2:

We get a piece of the fillers.

00:05:51 - 00:05:52 | Speaker 4:

You get a piece of-

00:05:52 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you got to get some free samples there. You get the service. I'm so excited.

00:05:55 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 4:

Wait, what kind of a sponsor is this?

00:05:58 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 2:

It's an aesthetic place. So, they do everything from fillers to Botox to laser treatment, skin care, a little bit of everything. We're going to dabble in it all.

00:06:07 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 4:

You guys are going to be doing, is this like trade for mention? Is that what's going on?

00:06:13 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 2:

That's a great question.

00:06:13 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 4:

I believe it's a podcast endorsement.

00:06:15 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:06:16 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 4:

Okay. So, it's not that you're just doing it for fillers. No. No, no, no, no.

00:06:21 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 1:

Your company's getting paid.

00:06:22 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 2:

Correct. And I'm also going to have a new face. So, it's a win-win.

00:06:25 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 3:

And I'm doing Botox, and I was told there's laughing gas.

00:06:28 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's awesome.

00:06:29 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Oh, my God.

00:06:30 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 1:

So we better get some before pictures. We might not recognize them later. Yeah.

00:06:34 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 4:

Wouldn't it be funny if all of a sudden you guys turn out to not look like Mike and Megan after this?

00:06:38 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 2:

I just don't want my facial recognition to work on my phone.

00:06:43 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 4:

That's when you know you had good fillers, right? Exactly. When that happens to you. Well, it's nice to have you guys in the studio. I don't know if you guys had a weekend like I had. I had an amazing weekend. And I figured that we'll start off the show this morning, and I'm going to say this tongue-in-cheekly. I want to talk to people who had literally a more mundane weekend than I did. Can you top this? I went to a junior high performance of Shrek the Musical.

00:07:15 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 2:

My favorite.

00:07:16 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 4:

And I don't have a junior high kid. I actually.

00:07:19 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 2:

Right?

00:07:20 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 1:

Whose was it?

00:07:21 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 4:

We were asked by, Chelsea and I were asked to appear. I was asked to make an appearance. Yes, at our nephew Daniel's Shrek the musical performance. And so we went, and we went to the matinee on Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. And did we have a good time? I'm going to tell you, it was so much fun. I was told by Chelsea, you cannot say anything bad about it because these kids were our kids at one time. Isn't it funny when you have kids in the musical, you walk out of there going, those kids were unbelievable. weren't they and you know all the kids they're friends of your kids and stuff like that when you don't know anybody at all you're sitting in that audience like simon cowl

00:08:07 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 1:

well that's a parent foul like you're not supposed to invite extended friends and family because we all get tortured with our own kids events you don't have to subject other people to that disagree oh like i because i had two girls that were in dance they were in music they were in theater they were in band they were in everything so the only person that would ever get a standing invite to those events was grandma because everybody else and grandma loves going to all those things well everyone else like you don't want to torture neighbors and cousins and

00:08:36 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 4:

uncles and well the problem the problem though is that um uh daniel loves chelsea and honestly he could care less probably for me and i would have looked like a bad guy if i didn't go if i didn't attend with so it was basically chelsea loved it she had such a great time she's you know sat there like all excited about the whole thing and you know it was it was fun i ate food from

00:08:59 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 3:

the concession stand i went to the same so i went to the the shrek musical too but and same thing my kid wasn't in this really oh yeah yeah so what was your reasoning for being there cecily saw they they went into cecily school and they did a performance or whatever to get everybody to come cecily's like oh i want to go i want to go so we're like okay let's go so we went to the thing And you're absolutely right. When you get there, you're like, these kids are good, but they're not my kids. And then we get there. So we show up, and there's people sitting in our seats. And it's like grandma and aunts. But there's no ushers at a Shrek show. So you walk in, and you're like, hey, you're in my seats. And they're like, no, we're not. You're kidding me, right? You actually tried to kick grandma out of the seats? I had to because that was our seats.

00:09:47 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

Did you show them that you, like you do, like if you go to a Tigers game and somebody's sitting in your seats, do you show them your tickets like, uh-uh. So they wouldn't, and there's no ushers to like clarify who's, so they wouldn't.

00:10:00 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 5:

show us their seats. They're like, no, this is our seats. I'm like, no, this is our seats. And so I showed them our ticket and they're like, no, no, no, we're not

00:10:05 - 00:10:09 | Speaker 3:

getting up. What if their kids were like the lead in the show and you didn't even have a kid in the

00:10:09 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 2:

show? So where did you sit? Because the show I went to was sold out. We sat like right in the middle. We got seats early. Oh, you got, okay. So you guys got, so you took somebody else's seats. Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. if you had a weekend that was more exciting than Mike and I had. I don't know if you can. And KP, don't give me it. I looked at your social media last night. You and your girlfriend looking all purdy at the big show, the concert with Future. My friend could

00:10:45 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 4:

have had a better night too. She hasn't gone to a concert in like four years. Brought her to big show. She ended up getting leveled by security because some guy tried to get through to the pit and the security guy like ran into this dude at full force and took Sam with him. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. She was just collateral damage. Where did my friend go?

00:11:04 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 2:

Did you have a concussion or something? Those guys are big.

00:11:07 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 4:

Her knees are all jacked up.

00:11:08 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 2:

Oh, she actually fell to the ground?

00:11:10 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. She went with him. It was wild. That whole show was wild. It was fun, but it was crazy.

00:11:16 - 00:11:28 | Speaker 2:

By the way, KP, when I came in this morning, says to me, she goes, hey, can you smell anything on me? And I said, no. I'm trying to see. And she goes, I think I smell like the Big Show last night.

00:11:28 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 4:

You smell me right now? Lots of weed? It is ridiculous. Every time I smell my hair, I'm like, wow.

00:11:34 - 00:11:35 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

00:11:36 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 4:

Bring your hair over here. Yeah, right.

00:11:38 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 2:

Anytime you go to any concerts nowadays, it seems like, man, you smell like, you know. Actually, Mike, did it smell like that at the Shrek, the musical?

00:11:46 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 5:

It smelled like Grandma's perfume.

00:11:49 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 3:

What would you choose, Mojo, going to a kid's musical that's not your kid or a radio station

00:11:55 - 00:13:06 | Speaker 2:

concert that's not your radio station that's true honestly i'd rather go to the shrek the musical i really would it's cheaper yeah parking is cheaper and it's a little closer to home the middle school is right down the street i don't have to go fight traffic and go do a big parking lot thing so um all right mojo in the morning 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is our telephone number it was uh it was fun it was you know what the the kids and mike you probably experienced this too These kids, man, they put themselves out there. I don't know how they remember lines and songs, and they're singing. Which, by the way, Shrek, I loved Shrek. That was one of my favorites. And they did such a good job, and it was pretty dead on. And I was actually a little bit bummed at one point, though. During the matinee, they don't do an intermission. I needed an intermission bad. They don't do an intermission? They didn't do it at this one because it was matinee. But I needed an intermission bad because I was going to try to convince all the family members that we were there that the show was over with at intermission time. It's terrible. But it didn't go over very well. Megan, you got the dirty this morning, and we got a lot of dirty. Is it today? What would you consider it? A busy day or a not-so-busy day? How is it?

00:13:06 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 1:

Oh, God, it is a very, very busy day.

00:13:09 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:13:09 - 00:13:14 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so I can't wait for you to complain about everything. It's going to be so much fun. I won't complain.

00:13:14 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 2:

Super Bowl set. We're excited about that. I know, Spike, you're really excited about that. Your Eagles are in the Super Bowl. What's going on, Dylan? hi hi how are you can you top our weekend that mike and i had uh saturday night me and my family

00:13:31 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 5:

went to bingo at our local ymca i want to say wow really i think yeah i think um me and my sister-in-law were probably about the youngest people there by about 40 years

00:13:44 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 3:

you don't have to call on and brag not all of us can live that rock star lifestyle

00:13:49 - 00:13:51 | Speaker 2:

Did you guys win anything?

00:13:53 - 00:13:59 | Speaker 5:

Not this week. We also went last weekend, and my wife and mother-in-law won, but we didn't win anything this weekend.

00:14:00 - 00:14:25 | Speaker 2:

Years ago, I went to our church's, our parish's bingo, that they had a bingo night, and I'm not lying to you. Those people know how to party. Like, I swear to you, this was probably before Yetis were as big as they are right now, where now everybody has them. There's like a lady, I guarantee you, with a flask, you know. Hell yeah. Sneaking in some church wine into the bingo hall. Cool, Dylan. Thank you so much. I appreciate it.

00:14:26 - 00:14:27 | Speaker 5:

Thanks. Have a good day.

00:14:28 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 2:

All right. Take care of yourself. How do they serve booze at Shrek? Why don't they have booze at those? Well, it's interesting because our school is a Catholic school, and they do Oktoberfest, and it is a total, honestly, trunk fest. everybody goes crazy and they give they basically the the priests turn you over and start shaking the cash out of your pockets and nobody cares because they're all drunk i don't understand why they don't serve drinks at these these school events it would be honestly the greatest thing ever even honestly if

00:15:00 - 00:15:36 | Speaker 1:

You just said, all right, it's a well wine and draft, you know, I still remember grade school going to Catholic school and my every event was alcohol themed. Everything surrounded itself with alcohol. And I remember even like the Christmas charity, they would auction off. They would have like a raffle to auction off bottles of booze. And I'm thinking even in the third grade, I was so aware of my dad looking for the cheapest bottle in his cabinet to donate for the for the charity. And then he would go and just win a bunch of other bottles back. And I'm like, this was the stupidest thing. Why don't we just all go to the liquor store and buy a bottle for one-third the price?

00:15:36 - 00:15:45 | Speaker 4:

Can you imagine with nowadays it being legal to have marijuana here if all of a sudden it turns into one of those, right? How smart are you?

00:15:46 - 00:15:52 | Speaker 6:

It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events and you tell us what year it happened.

00:15:52 - 00:16:00 | Speaker 4:

It was the year that Michael Phelps became the greatest medalist ever at the Olympics, winning his 19th career medal.

00:16:00 - 00:16:07 | Speaker 3:

In over 100 years, nobody's won as many medals at the Olympic Games in any sport than this great champion, Michael Phelps.

00:16:08 - 00:16:13 | Speaker 4:

Dennis Rodman's buddy, Kim Jong-un, officially was appointed the supreme leader of North Korea in this year.

00:16:14 - 00:16:23 | Speaker 5:

North Korea declared Kim Jong-un supreme leader of the country's ruling party. The proclamation was made during a memorial for the late president and Kim Jong-un's father, Kim Jong-il.

00:16:24 - 00:16:35 | Speaker 4:

And Drake and Lil Wayne had the big song with the motto. What year was it? We'll set you up with the prize. Good luck.

00:16:36 - 00:16:41 | Speaker 6:

You talk a big game in the car. Now prove how smart you are. Tell us the year this stuff happened. At 844-MOCHO-LIVE.

00:16:42 - 00:16:45 | Speaker 3:

844-665-6548.

00:16:45 - 00:16:56 | Speaker 6:

Ah, this weather is great Ever wonder why we're dumb enough to live here this time of year? This is Mojo in the Morning It's Mojo in the Morning Back in the day What year was this?

00:16:56 - 00:17:07 | Speaker 4:

Alright, all happened in the same year What year was this? This was the year that Michael Phelps became the most awarded gold medalist And actually medalist in general

00:17:07 - 00:17:15 | Speaker 3:

So in over 100 years Nobody's won as many medals at the Olympic Games in any sport than this great champion, Michael Phelps.

00:17:15 - 00:17:30 | Speaker 5:

Kim Jong-un took over North Korea. North Korea declared Kim Jong-un supreme leader of the country's ruling party. The proclamation was made during a memorial for the late president and Kim Jong-un's father, Kim Jong-un. And Drake's big song,

00:17:31 - 00:17:45 | Speaker 4:

the motto, what year was that? Josie, what year was that? 2012. Yes, congratulations to you. Thank you. Congratulations. We're going to set you up with the prize. Let's see what we got up for grabs for you this week. Where are you calling us from?

00:17:47 - 00:17:47 | Speaker 7:

Brownstown.

00:17:48 - 00:19:10 | Speaker 4:

Oh, nice. Okay, this will be perfect for you. You just won a family pack of tickets, which includes free skating, free skate rentals, hot chocolate, marshmallows, and a whole bunch more at the Winter Blast happening in downtown Royal Oak. And it's presented by Soaring Eagle. And it's the weekend of February the 17th. And we got a winter blast of weather coming our way. So I'm assuming that we'll actually have good snow for that. It won't be like, yeah. We couldn't have had a winter blast if they had it in the beginning of January. Right. Thank you so much. Enjoy. Have a great time. Hold on one second. Taylor tickets right now. Text for Taylor. Text SWIFT to 95500 for a chance to win. That's SWIFT. Text that to 95500. Standard text and data rates to apply. And you can win tickets to see Taylor Swift June 9th and 10th at Ford Field. Text SWIFT to 95500, and you'll have a chance to win Taylor Swift tickets. We got tickets this morning for Taylor Swift and for Ed Sheeran. Ed Sheeran tickets next hour. Look at this. Oh, I didn't even get a chance to introduce you. People are going to wonder if you're interrupting Shannon. She is not here today. She is sick. She's not feeling well. Did you Lysol that microphone?

00:19:11 - 00:19:12 | Speaker 7:

Oh, no, I didn't.

00:19:12 - 00:19:17 | Speaker 4:

She said she wasn't feeling good on Friday. So you better Lysol that sucker.

00:19:17 - 00:19:22 | Speaker 7:

No. Okay, you want me to start? There's a lot to get to today.

00:19:22 - 00:19:23 | Speaker 4:

Megan's in for Shannon, is what I was going to say.

00:19:24 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 7:

Okay, looks like TJ Holmes and Amy Roback are no longer employees at ABC. The network made the announcement to the entire staff that they did, in fact, let the two go. ABC News President Kim Goodwin sent the memo out on Friday saying that after several productive conversations with Amy and TJ about different options. We all agreed that it's best for everyone that they move on from ABC News. We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions. As for who will be the new co-anchor of GMA3 in 2020, well, that's to be decided at a later time. Now, allegedly, there was an exit agreement that came to be on Friday after

00:20:00 - 00:20:30 | Speaker 3:

very contentious mediation that was occurring thursday night into friday morning apparently the problem was that the couple did not handle their romance in the workplace properly they took too long to tell higher-ups and some of their behavior made others uncomfortable at times also robach allegedly had liquor in her dressing room and she says that these were gifts from higher-ups at abc and they also accused her of being drunk and they're really looking for something yeah they They were really, really looking. And we don't know the buyout yet, but I'm sure it was a pretty penny.

00:20:31 - 00:20:41 | Speaker 2:

They were celebrating in Beverly Hills this weekend. They hold and hug each other better than any couples I've ever seen. They look like a movie when they're running into each other's arms.

00:20:41 - 00:20:44 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, they're going to sell each other as a couple for their next jobs for sure.

00:20:44 - 00:20:45 | Speaker 2:

Well, I got a place for them.

00:20:45 - 00:20:45 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah?

00:20:46 - 00:20:58 | Speaker 2:

CNN. They just had their ratings come out. CNN's got the worst ratings that they've had in nine years. Put those guys on the morning show on CNN, and now you got buzz. Let them make out on the actual camera.

00:20:58 - 00:21:44 | Speaker 3:

Who watches television? All right, after the passing of Lisa Marie Presley, it seems like the family has started fighting with each other. There's an issue between her mother and her oldest daughter, Priscilla. Her mother is filing legal documents in which she is asking a judge to ignore an amendment of Lisa's trust that she established back in 2010. In it, Priscilla was named the trustee along with Lisa Marie's former business manager, Barry Siegel. Turns out that's no longer the case, and the trustees are now Riley and Benjamin. Well, remember, Benjamin took his own life back in 2020, so that leaves Riley as the sole trustee. Priscilla is saying these new documents, they are fishy. The date on them is suspicious. Her name is misspelled in it, and apparently Lisa Marie's signature doesn't look like her normal signature does either.

00:21:45 - 00:21:47 | Speaker 2:

So she's claiming that somebody came

00:21:47 - 00:21:50 | Speaker 3:

in there and faked it.

00:21:50 - 00:21:50 | Speaker 2:

Wow.

00:21:50 - 00:22:11 | Speaker 3:

Zachary Levi in some hot water after some fans perceived one of his tweets to be anti-vax. He replied to a question on Twitter that asked, do you agree or not? Is Pfizer a real danger to the world? Zachary Levi, a.k.a. Shazam. You probably know him from Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. He's been in a million different projects. I absolutely love him.

00:22:11 - 00:22:16 | Speaker 2:

No, I'm saying I'm giggling because you probably know him from Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. I've never seen it, but that's okay.

00:22:17 - 00:22:18 | Speaker 3:

Marvelous Mrs. Maisel?

00:22:18 - 00:22:19 | Speaker 2:

No, I know.

00:22:19 - 00:22:21 | Speaker 3:

You love that. We talk about that show.

00:22:21 - 00:22:25 | Speaker 2:

I watch Adam Sandler movies at home all weekend. I'm sorry. That's just not my taste.

00:22:25 - 00:22:36 | Speaker 3:

Zachary Levi was the hot doctor that she was dating for like an entire season. Oh, Zachary Taylor. You guys are actually like Shazam wasn't a huge movie. It was like multiple sequels coming out.

00:22:36 - 00:22:41 | Speaker 2:

No, I know Shazam is big. Look, I got the music for you. See?

00:22:42 - 00:22:48 | Speaker 3:

It's starting early. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm already being mocked for my dirties at 6.30 in the morning. This is going to be a fun day.

00:22:48 - 00:22:52 | Speaker 2:

No, I'm not mocking. I love it. That's a crazy story. So what did he say about it?

00:22:52 - 00:23:45 | Speaker 3:

The question on Twitter that was asked is, is Pfizer a real danger to the world? His response was hardcore agree. This set off some fans. He was labeled as sharing anti-vax rhetoric. And, you know, with this whole Shazam movie coming out, a lot of people were like, is this really the proper time to come out with a stance like this? Well, he jumped back onto Twitter to clarify. He tweeted a link to a 2009 Department of Justice press release that was about the fraud case Pfizer, the company was involved in, where they agreed to pay $2.3 billion in settlement money, and that's what he was referring to. When we talk about big, like, missed opportunities, I don't know if one's as big as the one Katy Perry admitted to having. She sent me an email one time that was, hey, check out this new artist. I'd really like us to work with her because she was working with me for Unsub, and it was a song called Ocean Eyes, and it was just a blonde girl,

00:23:45 - 00:23:46 | Speaker 1:

and I was like, man, boring.

00:23:47 - 00:24:02 | Speaker 3:

Big mistake. Yeah, that boring Ocean Eye girl, Billie Eilish. Turns out that she turned down a opportunity to work with Billie Eilish, saying it was a huge mistake. I do have to agree. I do have to agree on that one.

00:24:03 - 00:24:14 | Speaker 2:

Isn't that funny? I always think of the TV show ones where you find out that somebody could have been the star of one of the biggest shows ever, and then they turned out that they passed it up, and somebody else got it. You could have been on Friends, right?

00:24:14 - 00:24:32 | Speaker 3:

Right, right. We now know who's going to be facing off at the game that Rihanna is doing her amazing performance for. Let's get the Super Bowl lineup officially here. First team to play. The Philadelphia Eagles are going back to the Super Bowl. And they are going up against.

00:24:33 - 00:24:43 | Speaker 1:

Erwin is going to swing it over to Taylor. He's not down yet. He is now. It's over. It is over.

00:24:43 - 00:24:49 | Speaker 3:

and the Kansas City Chiefs have won it. Chiefs-Eagles, who you guys got winning the Super Bowl?

00:24:50 - 00:24:55 | Speaker 2:

Vegas has the Eagles by two and a half, I believe, right now.

00:24:55 - 00:24:57 | Speaker 3:

Is that going to be that close?

00:24:58 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 2:

Wow, that'll change a million times.

00:25:00 - 00:25:04 | Speaker 3:

We don't know who's going to be playing. There's injuries on both sides, so I'm not sure who's going to be clear and healthy.

00:25:05 - 00:25:19 | Speaker 2:

If Patrick Mahomes stays healthy, I think the Chiefs win. But other than that, I think the Eagles are going to win. Can I say I picked the 49ers against the Bengals in the Super Bowl? So I'm going on record to say that I'm picking the Eagles to win.

00:25:19 - 00:25:20 | Speaker 1:

Oh, come on.

00:25:20 - 00:25:21 | Speaker 3:

I want your pick.

00:25:21 - 00:25:36 | Speaker 2:

Because I want the Eagles not to win. But with that said, I think it would be good for the Eagles to win. Except for yesterday, I am worried about the fans in Philadelphia. They were well-behaved yesterday. No, can you talk about the fans later, like next hour?

00:25:36 - 00:25:39 | Speaker 1:

I was going to say, I want the Eagles to win. One incident on video.

00:25:39 - 00:25:50 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Video. They were definitely well-behaved, more well-behaved, actually, in the stadium than they have been in forever. But there were some incidents.

00:25:50 - 00:26:03 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, truly want the Eagles to win just to see how they'll party in the streets, for sure. Check out all of today's Dirty by hitting up the Dirty page at MojoInTheMorning.com. Get more dirt at MojoInTheMorning.com. And another world-famous phone scam happens in minutes.

00:26:52 - 00:26:53 | Speaker 1:

You're home with the phone scam.

00:27:13 - 00:27:14 | Speaker 4:

Oh, good. Is it ready?

00:27:15 - 00:27:22 | Speaker 3:

Unfortunately, it's not anywhere near ready. That's why I'm calling, to see if you had access to another car or you might need a loaner.

00:27:23 - 00:27:26 | Speaker 4:

I don't understand why it needs another day. I brought it in yesterday.

00:27:27 - 00:27:29 | Speaker 3:

Right. They told you about the leaky brake fluid, right?

00:27:30 - 00:27:32 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but I don't understand.

00:27:32 - 00:27:36 | Speaker 3:

We figured out it was from a failed piston seal, and I think they told you we were waiting for the part to be overnighted?

00:27:37 - 00:27:39 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but that was yesterday. Right.

00:27:39 - 00:27:45 | Speaker 3:

Well, we had an incident. Someone left the garage bay doors open last night. We had a little incident.

00:27:45 - 00:27:47 | Speaker 4:

Please tell me my car's not stolen.

00:27:47 - 00:28:02 | Speaker 3:

No, ma'am, it was not stolen. Some raccoons got into the garage and couldn't find their way out, and they tore that place up. I mean, you're not going to be happy when I tell you this next bit of information. Your windows were down, and they really liked your Jeep for some reason. It's a mess.

00:28:03 - 00:28:05 | Speaker 4:

I don't understand. They're in my Jeep?

00:28:05 - 00:28:22 | Speaker 3:

They ate through your car seat and your carpets. Are you f***ing kidding me? No, ma'am, and you must have dropped some fries or crumbs under the seat because they went crazy. uh there's gonna we're gonna need to clean up and repair this vehicle i mean they use the back

00:28:22 - 00:28:27 | Speaker 4:

seat for a toilet fix whatever damage was done oh my god why does this stuff always happen to me

00:28:27 - 00:28:41 | Speaker 3:

you i mean you always have raccoons in the back of your car no what cara i understand you'll be upset so we're gonna start the cleanup in another day or two no no you can't okay all right first

00:28:41 - 00:28:45 | Speaker 4:

First of all, that car is my baby, and I need it back today because I need it to drive.

00:28:46 - 00:28:50 | Speaker 3:

Right, but you can't pick it up until after the DNR gets here to remove the babies.

00:28:51 - 00:28:52 | Speaker 4:

What?

00:28:52 - 00:28:57 | Speaker 3:

One of the critters must have given birth or something. It looks like there's a little nest of babies in the console.

00:28:58 - 00:29:00 | Speaker 4:

No, no, no, no, no, no. You need to fix this today.

00:29:01 - 00:29:05 | Speaker 3:

They warned us not to touch them. We called the state. They're coming tomorrow to remove these things.

00:29:05 - 00:29:07 | Speaker 4:

They are still in the f***ing car?

00:29:07 - 00:29:13 | Speaker 3:

Yes, ma'am. And they hiss. Whenever we go near them, they make the most god-awful sound. They go, hiss.

00:29:13 - 00:29:15 | Speaker 4:

No, you need to f***ing fix this today.

00:29:16 - 00:29:23 | Speaker 3:

Obviously, you need to talk to your insurance company and iron out the payment first, because if they won't cover it, then we'll need payment before we can start the repairs.

00:29:24 - 00:29:28 | Speaker 4:

Excuse me? This is on you guys. It happened on your property.

00:29:28 - 00:29:32 | Speaker 3:

Really, no, because it's an act of God, so our insurance won't cover it.

00:29:32 - 00:29:37 | Speaker 4:

I need to talk to your manager. No, it's an act of an idiot who left windows open. I need to talk to your manager.

00:29:38 - 00:29:42 | Speaker 3:

Well, you can't talk to Bill. He's distraught. They ate his Flamin' Hot Cheetos that he left on the workbench.

00:29:43 - 00:29:45 | Speaker 4:

This is, I, I'm going to.

00:29:46 - 00:29:48 | Speaker 3:

What kind of car does a raccoon drive?

00:29:49 - 00:29:50 | Speaker 4:

Put a f***ing manager on the phone.

00:29:50 - 00:29:54 | Speaker 3:

A Ferrari, a Ferrari, get it? I'm trying to lighten the mood.

00:29:54 - 00:29:56 | Speaker 4:

00:35:00 - 00:35:25 | Speaker 3:

quarterback? Yeah, for hitting Mahomes out of bounds. William. Yeah, but you know what, though? I don't know if you saw this, but there was a hold that was also on that play, too. Oh, no. And if the refs would have called the hold, it would have offset that penalty. So Cincinnati Bengals fans are so upset. Wah, wah, wah, wah. Typical Ohio. I'm sorry. Oh, I'm sorry. I was supposed to hit that one, not the aw.

5 at 6.55 Mojo in the morning

00:36:20 - 00:36:54 | Speaker 3:

It's always good to have Megan and Mike in studio with us instead of on a lot of people don't even probably realize this because you can't even tell but instead of on uh the studio mics in toledo and grand rapids so these guys are hanging with us this morning shannon is out sick today so megan's actually gonna be doing the dirties and you actually were just telling a story about a celebrity couple publicly fighting which i always love when couples publicly fight don't you yes i was living for it this video

00:36:54 - 00:38:01 | Speaker 1:

was all over my tiktok last night and this morning j-lo's promoting her new movie and i don't i don't know what the title of it is off the top of my head but it's that you know really bad movie or in the jungle or something getting married yeah it's like weird um it's another j-lo hit i'm sure anyways and ben affleck were at this premiere and the two of them are fighting and i love it because they're being filmed the whole time now there was a lip reader on tiktok who broke it down and was saying that ben affleck was saying something along the lines of like i haven't been drinking i'm not drinking i'm not drunk yada yada yada and j-lo's giving him you know those dagger eyes but she's smiling it's the worst look in the world when you see a girl smiling with those eyes that are like i'm gonna kill you later that's what j-lo has and it just reminded me that a couple of years ago i hung out with a couple and they ruined most weekends for me because they would fight in public every single time they went out to the point where one person was grabbing an uber alone and going home then the other one would get way too drunk with us and complain about them all night and i gotta stop hanging out with them because there's always that one couple that

00:38:01 - 00:38:13 | Speaker 3:

fights in public we know a public uh fighting couple too it's embarrassing for everybody else but it is kind of fun when it's fun it's kind of fun if it happens at the end of the night like

00:38:13 - 00:38:17 | Speaker 1:

when you're getting your car from a valet yes or the first time you're like oh that was dramatic

00:38:17 - 00:38:41 | Speaker 3:

but when they do it every single time yeah drives me nuts my uh my favorite with the j-lo and ben thing is and uh you knew that this thing's not gonna last and it hasn't even started you know it's not gonna last i mean but my favorite is that how just love these two guys are but the issues of the past are coming back up by lip reading you can tell exactly what's going on

00:38:41 - 00:38:50 | Speaker 1:

Well, I also thought it was interesting that this is the same weekend that her ex and baby daddy, Mark Anthony, got married to a 23-year-old model, so it wasn't a great weekend for her.

00:38:50 - 00:38:53 | Speaker 3:

Do you think she ... He's the father of her children, right? Yes.

00:38:54 - 00:38:54 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:38:55 - 00:39:06 | Speaker 3:

Mark Anthony, way married above himself. I know that all of our Latin listening people, listeners, are going to be upset with me for saying that, but I never really thought he was ...

00:39:06 - 00:39:07 | Speaker 1:

Great looking?

00:39:07 - 00:39:08 | Speaker 3:

Looks-wise.

00:39:09 - 00:39:15 | Speaker 1:

Well, first of all, let's check out his bank account, because that's where it's at. And also, she's a 23-year-old beauty pageant queen.

00:39:16 - 00:39:17 | Speaker 3:

The girl that he's marrying now?

00:39:17 - 00:39:18 | Speaker 1:

She's gorgeous.

00:39:18 - 00:39:20 | Speaker 2:

How old is he? He's got to be in his 50s, right?

00:39:21 - 00:39:22 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, something like that. Here, I'll look it up.

00:39:22 - 00:39:32 | Speaker 3:

844 Mojo Live, 844-665-6548. Do you know the public fighting couple? Do you have friends of yours that are a couple that always fight when they're in public?

00:39:32 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 2:

So I wouldn't say always fight. You guys don't, do you? I thought Megan was going to bring this up Her and I hung out one time And Allie was there too It wasn't a public fight But we left where we were at And I was convinced that my wife Was up in the hotel room with Megan And her brother To the point where I was calling them outside of the hotel Like where is my wife? Where did she go? They're like

00:40:00 - 00:40:08 | Speaker 3:

She's not up here. She's not up here. Turns out my wife just started wandering. Were you thinking that they were hiding Allie from you? Yes.

00:40:08 - 00:40:20 | Speaker 1:

To the point where my brother and I had to FaceTime Mike and then go through our hotel room. Oh, my gosh. Opening closets, opening the curtain, being like, your wife is not up here. And he would not take over it.

00:40:20 - 00:40:23 | Speaker 2:

Wow. Were you drunk? Well, she was. Oh, man.

00:40:23 - 00:40:24 | Speaker 1:

We all were.

00:40:24 - 00:41:12 | Speaker 3:

Chelsea and I have had public Fights or fights when we were out You know with other people Happen and the interesting part Is it happens before we get to the Event or dinner or wherever It is we're going and then we get to The event or dinner and I can just see The side eye that I'll be getting And I'll try to engage in conversation Honestly I try to use it as a way To make up in front of other People so that the car ride home is not As uncomfortable as the car ride there was And Chelsea doesn't fall for it She's not going to fall at all And people will be like My buddies will go Hey, everything okay? They can feel the icy cold It's only happened a couple of times Where it got really, really uncomfortable And we actually just said Tell us what you guys think And then we pit our friends against it

00:41:12 - 00:41:15 | Speaker 1:

No, that's messy

00:41:15 - 00:41:22 | Speaker 3:

Well, no, because they all side with her I think they're going to side with me But they all will side with her on that deal

00:41:22 - 00:41:41 | Speaker 2:

Everybody has the one couple and we just won't make plans with them anymore because it's so uncomfortable and it just ruins every night because it takes over whatever you were planning on doing now the whole thing is about them every time and it's predictable you could set your watch to it you know just here it's gonna be between cocktails and dinner this is where it's gonna start yeah and my favorite then

00:41:41 - 00:41:59 | Speaker 3:

when you you know that couple is the next day after you go out with them i always like to send a text message saying hey it was great seeing you guys last night and i always do it it was so much Fun wasn't it so much and I ask questions To see if they'll respond back because I know that they woke up In the morning probably probably woke up In the other morning from different places

00:41:59 - 00:42:15 | Speaker 4:

In their house so I that next Morning I had to call people I had To apologize like it was so embarrassed That that even happened because It's not the norm but it was it's I couldn't Imagine fighting like that constantly Nicole Hey what's going on

00:42:15 - 00:42:16 | Speaker 3:

What's happening

00:42:16 - 00:42:22 | Speaker 5:

I'm calling because my husband and I are the fighting couple.

00:42:23 - 00:42:29 | Speaker 3:

Misfit Nicole, you have told me that you guys sometimes will get into some brawls.

00:42:30 - 00:42:51 | Speaker 5:

Isn't that so funny that you and I talked about this and your topic today? I'm like, this is me. This is me. And a lot of times what we do now, because I think it makes our friends kind of uncomfortable, we be a text fight. So we still like give each other the stink eye across the room And it's like via text

00:42:51 - 00:42:56 | Speaker 3:

How do you give stink eye on text? What's the emoji for that?

00:42:56 - 00:43:10 | Speaker 5:

You know like you know you like No I'm saying like we'll argue via text Like we'll be in the same room with our friends And then like we're like texting really hard like angrily And then like after you send a text You just look across the room like You know you give each other the stink eye

00:43:10 - 00:43:14 | Speaker 3:

Yeah I love it How was the concert last night? How was the big show?

00:43:15 - 00:43:23 | Speaker 5:

Listen, last night, confirmed for me, I am officially the old bitch in the club.

00:43:24 - 00:43:27 | Speaker 3:

Come on, you're not old, Nicole.

00:43:28 - 00:43:30 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah, you know what? I am.

00:43:31 - 00:43:31 | Unknown:

I am.

00:43:31 - 00:43:53 | Speaker 5:

Because let me tell you how I know I'm old. We were waiting for the moment, however future, to come on, right? And I look over, and my cousin and my friend, you're playing Candy Crush. When the other young ladies twerk And we were playing Candy Crush

00:43:53 - 00:44:04 | Speaker 3:

I am paying for it That happens to everybody When you go to a concert And the artist takes forever to come up on stage It sucks

00:44:04 - 00:44:20 | Speaker 5:

Let me tell you how else I know Because, and I'm sorry we're off topic Jeezy came out And he's mature Like he did his thing He came out early and on time, and he was gone, because he's married with kids.

00:44:22 - 00:44:22 | Speaker 3:

That is true.

00:44:23 - 00:44:24 | Speaker 4:

You're right.

00:44:24 - 00:44:27 | Speaker 3:

He's normally super late. Yeah, that is true.

00:44:28 - 00:44:53 | Speaker 5:

And my old kid didn't get it, because when Gizzy was on, I was like, why are all these young people in the hallway? Like, they're missing a really good show. But I realized Gizzy is more for my feet. He's the 40 and up group. Yeah. When Future came on, all the young people rushed the area because they feel like Future. And Future was fantastic, but I am tired as hell.

00:44:53 - 00:45:10 | Speaker 3:

I know. I know. They need to do what they need to do when we do the big show or any other concerts. We need to put the artists that are for the 40 to 50s at, like, 3 in the afternoon. And then, like, a festival, take a break for a little bit.

00:45:10 - 00:45:25 | Speaker 1:

Let me tell you what I realized. I realized I've got to go to see, like, Snoop, Ice Cube, Too Short. I was going to see the old rappers. These young rappers? And then a couple people came on. I didn't know who they was. I was like, who is this?

00:45:25 - 00:45:31 | Speaker 3:

Kodak Black didn't even show up because his plane was late or whatever. It's like he doesn't even fly in in time.

00:45:31 - 00:45:36 | Speaker 2:

Did you do Mojo's move? Did you go out to get your car before the concert was over and sneak out to the parking lot?

00:45:36 - 00:45:38 | Speaker 1:

You know what? We did an Uber.

00:45:39 - 00:45:43 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay. I call the Uber as soon as I walk in for my goodbye.

00:45:44 - 00:45:47 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I can't hang with the young girls somehow.

00:45:48 - 00:46:07 | Speaker 3:

The last concert that I went to, I got to my Chevy app and turned on my Tahoe, warming it up. Like, second song into the concert. All right, you take care of yourself. mojo in the morning show are you sure you want to talk about this on the radio because if you do

00:46:07 - 00:47:03 | Speaker 2:

your game is now out i'm purposely talking about it early because my girlfriend's not awake yet okay so she's not listening but meg is making me work out if i get home from work too early so i was just telling mojo this morning i got like a whole trick where i try and find errands to run after the show or something to do i even volunteer to get the groceries and stuff because i left work at 12 30 once last week and she was like oh good meet me at planet fitness and oh see now reese is going to record me and put this on social oh yeah yeah yeah i see how this works so and then friday she was like what time you getting home and i'll create a circuit workout for us in the basement and i'm like no like so i've been trying to sneak like i asked Like do you have any dry cleaning I'm going to run to the dry cleaner After you have anything for me to drop off And it's really I'm just creating errands for myself after work Because if I get home too early She makes me work out

00:47:03 - 00:47:07 | Speaker 3:

So is that encouraging or making you?

00:47:07 - 00:47:58 | Speaker 2:

Well she's encouraging me Yeah And guilting me into it And guilting you Well she's right I've completely fallen off the wagon in 2023 Like I was on more of a regular schedule last year I have not worked out I think I've gone twice this whole year so far good for you but no no not good for me man oh good for you no bragging about twice i need to move every day because i just proved to her this weekend why i need to work because if i don't exercise i'm an old head and i'm falling apart i threw my back out yesterday shoveling so and it's all i can't move this yeah see this whole but you have a bad back you've told us i had an injury years ago and what happens is if i don't keep up and keep my core going and keep strength training, it reactivates because I haven't moved in two months except to roll from this side of the couch to the other

00:47:58 - 00:48:02 | Speaker 1:

side of the couch. No, you're looking at this the wrong way because you blew out your back and now you don't have to go to the gym.

00:48:02 - 00:48:12 | Speaker 3:

So this is the way you've been looking for this. Wait, do you think he really blew out his back or this is... He's kind of bored running errands. He's like, I want to go home.

00:48:12 - 00:48:20 | Speaker 2:

Well, I went out the shovel and she's like, I'll do it. And I'm like, no, I need to move a little. That's my exercise. She's like, don't lift. And I'm like, I'm not going to lift. I know what I'm doing.

00:48:20 - 00:48:43 | Speaker 3:

and then so so 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 does your spouse encourage you to exercise or to do something like did your spouse give you like the the uh okay you gotta you gotta work out even in your case of uh your girlfriend setting up you said like a workout for you in the basement yeah

00:48:43 - 00:49:05 | Speaker 2:

like when it was snowing i'm like you know what i just want to get home before it gets too bad She's like, perfect, I got everything set up in the basement I'm like, oh, okay Did I say I need to get home before the snow? I meant I'm going to wait this out And make sure it's not dangerous She doesn't want to date a guy that's out of shape, Spike No, she's totally right Because when I met her, I was going to the gym three times a week Yes And then I got comfortable

00:49:05 - 00:49:38 | Speaker 3:

Well, you know what ends up happening You know what happens is when you go through a divorce You all of a sudden start like, uh-oh I got to get myself back into shape And now you're back in that comfortability relationship. Right. So you're kind of like, I see his videos, and with the amount of food that she's cooking for you, you'd have to work out like twice a day to work out that stuff. That's not fair. That's true, because she is cooking all this delicious food for you. Yeah. So how are you supposed to balance that out? She's trying to make him fat and skinny at the same time.

00:49:38 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 2:

No, most of the time she's making healthier dishes for me than I would make on my, well, first of all, let's be honest. If she wasn't there, I'd be eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch for dinner. But she makes healthy. Reese's dad's what I had with that. But no, she usually cooks on the healthier side, except we'll treat ourselves to some pasta once in a while. But it's just the lack of effort.

00:50:00 - 00:50:08 | Speaker 5:

Activity, complete sedentary lifestyle that I've taken on this year. I've got to get out of the mode because now I've proven I can't not move. It kills me.

00:50:09 - 00:50:09 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Joe?

00:50:11 - 00:50:39 | Speaker 4:

Hey, so it's not my spouse or wife, but a couple years back I had a good buddy of mine who I used to go to the gym with. And he was a lot more motivated than I was. But he did love Taco Bell. So there are some times where I was like, okay, what if? Instead of going to the gym We'd go to Taco Bell And it would work almost every time Oh man he's supposed to lift you up Buy him fast food

00:50:39 - 00:50:43 | Speaker 5:

He's supposed to get you more healthy And then you end up dragging him down to your level

00:50:43 - 00:50:50 | Speaker 1:

Joe I don't know if you know this But you're actually my perfect man That's awesome

00:50:50 - 00:51:13 | Speaker 5:

That's like when I started going to the beautiful New Planet Fitness in Novi The one over on Novi Road Oh my gosh the Adele Center is so beautiful And then I finally realized from the one window, you can see the Texas Steakhouse out the window. You see all the chain restaurant signs. And I'm like, maybe next time I'll just pull in there. And that's what I did. I got the butter rolls, and I didn't even make it to the gym.

00:51:13 - 00:51:23 | Speaker 2:

That's what you should do. Because if she does GPS on you, she won't know that you're at Texas Roadhouse. She'll think that you're at Planet Fitness because the GPSs are virtually the same.

00:51:23 - 00:51:32 | Speaker 5:

Well, I made friends with the manager. So the one time I went, checked in, scanned my phone, said hi to him, talked to him for a minute, and then left. Hey, can you do me a favor?

00:51:33 - 00:52:15 | Speaker 2:

Go to the Planet Fitness manager friend of yours. Can you hold my phone for about an hour and a half? I'm going to get a steak and a baked potato and see if I can go have some fun. Texters, by the way, that know exactly what you're talking about. 517 says, my wife does the same thing to me. She'll actually say, hey, hurry up home. We're going to go do something. And I think that we're going to do something, and we're going to the gym to go actually work out. You know what? That actually might be the motivation. I will tell you that. Chelsea one time worked out encouraging things for me to get me motivated by using baking cookies as an option. Maybe that's a thing.

00:52:15 - 00:52:18 | Speaker 5:

That's literally the only exercise I've been getting this month.

00:52:18 - 00:52:25 | Speaker 2:

What if she held out and said, no cookies for you until you? Why are you putting that out there in the universe?

00:52:25 - 00:52:28 | Speaker 5:

Why don't you say so to this? I thought we were brothers.

00:52:29 - 00:52:35 | Speaker 3:

00:54:13 - 00:54:50 | Speaker 1:

So the unit that all five officers involved with Tyree Nichols' death, called the Scorpion Unit, is being dismantled. Now, this was the Memphis Police Department's response to the public outcry following the release of body cam footage that showed us the five officers brutally beating Tyree Nichols to death. The department put out a long statement. In part, they said, while the heinous actions of a few cast a cloud of dishonor on the title Scorpion, it is imperative that we, the Memphis Police Department, take proactive steps in the healing process for all impacted. The five officers have been charged with murder. The chief of police came out with a statement before the body cam footage was released on Friday night and this

00:54:50 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 5:

is what the chief had to say. It was incomprehensible to me. It was unconscionable and I felt

00:55:00 - 00:55:06 | Speaker 1:

that I needed to do something and do something quickly. I don't think I've witnessed anything of that nature in my entire career.

00:55:07 - 00:55:13 | Speaker 5:

After the footage was released and people claimed that Tyree Nichols was reaching for the cops' weapons, this is what his stepfather had to say about him.

00:55:14 - 00:55:30 | Speaker 1:

Anybody who watched the video know that Tyree did not reach for an officer's gun. He was just trying to cover his tail. And if you know Tyree like we know Tyree, he would have never, ever tried to reach for an officer's gun.

00:55:30 - 00:56:40 | Speaker 4:

It was indefensible. There's no way that you can actually justify that at all. And they're going to find that this Scorpion unit, as well as probably other units within that police department, had issues in the past. And it probably went under, you know, swept under the rug. I saw the president and CEO of the NAACP, Derek Johnson, say it's time for lawmakers to get serious about this. And they didn't do it after incidents had taken place in 2020. And one of the comments that he made I thought was so valid. We talk all the time about how we need to raise the wage of everybody. Everybody needs to make more money. We're hiring sometimes these police officers, and we're not training them, A. They're getting like the lowest training ever, and we're paying them nothing. So you're getting people that are not going to become police officers that want to do it as a career because they care about protecting and serving. You're getting people that are just looking for an occupation and want to put on a badge and wear a gun.

00:56:40 - 00:56:41 | Speaker 5:

Could not agree with you more.

00:56:41 - 00:56:56 | Speaker 4:

But we'll see, you know, this is, I have to tell you, the protests over the weekend were fantastic that we didn't see. And everybody heeded to Tyree's mom saying, do not burn down my city. And they were across the country.

00:56:56 - 00:57:06 | Speaker 5:

And I couldn't believe how many cities truly made an impact this weekend without it becoming, you know, about something other than what the point was, which was police reform in this case.

00:57:06 - 00:57:13 | Speaker 3:

The scariest part about all of it is that those cops were on camera. They knew they were on camera, and they didn't care. That's how they acted. It's insane.

00:57:13 - 00:57:25 | Speaker 5:

In the video, they released four videos, and one of them is very long. You can see the police officers shining their flashlights up at the sky cam to be like, hey, guys, remember, we're on camera. They're acknowledging the fact that they're on camera.

00:57:25 - 00:57:34 | Speaker 4:

And not just the police officers, but the EMS workers that came to the scene, and then the sheriff's department people that came later and didn't do anything after the fact.

00:57:34 - 00:57:50 | Speaker 5:

Insane. Absolutely insane. Kanye West got into an argument that looks like it might be some out of control road rage Kanye gets out of his car he approaches a woman in her own car recording the altercation he is accusing the woman of following him he grabs the phone out of her hand and then throws it into

00:57:50 - 00:57:56 | Speaker 1:

the street that ain't gonna run up on me like that if I say stop I wasn't running I say it ain't

00:57:56 - 00:58:43 | Speaker 5:

running I wasn't running now he thinks that the woman is a paparazzi it's unclear if she is or if She was just recording the altercation because that's what people do now. She had her dog on her lap. She didn't get out of the car. She wasn't on a professional camera. It was just her cell phone. It was very weird. Very weird. I'm so aggravated at the 911 operator that took Paul Pelosi's call when that lunatic broke into his home and attacked him with a hammer. We have more information about the attack, including footage of it happening on police body cam, but also security footage of the man using his hammer to break into the Pelosi home. Paul Pelosi calls 911 to try to get help, but the operator seems so out of it and, like, not helpful whatsoever. San Francisco, please, 74.

00:58:45 - 00:59:06 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I guess I told him to say, what is this? This is San Francisco Police. Do you need help? Oh, well, there's a gentleman here just waiting for my wife to come back. Nancy Pelosi. He's just waiting for her to come back because she's not going to be here for a day, so I guess we'll have to wait.

00:59:08 - 00:59:14 | Speaker 5:

So as this is going on, she's like, okay, well, what do you want me to do about it? And he's like, well, there's a man here that I don't know.

00:59:15 - 00:59:18 | Speaker 6:

Do you need medical attention? I don't think so.

00:59:18 - 00:59:23 | Speaker 5:

He's talking around the whole situation. It's clear that he's in the room with the man wielding the hammer.

00:59:23 - 00:59:27 | Speaker 4:

But you can't fault the 911 operator who says this guy seems calm.

00:59:27 - 00:59:32 | Speaker 5:

Yes, you can. How? Yes, you can, because at one point on the call, He goes, I need Capitol Police.

00:59:32 - 00:59:41 | Speaker 4:

He's like, excuse me, my wife is not here right now, and I've got somebody that's here. It sounds to me like he's got, there's nothing, you know, drastic.

00:59:42 - 00:59:49 | Speaker 2:

Usually the first thing they ask is, is there somebody in the room with you? They try and, like, because, especially if you have, like, an intruder alert or something, they'll...

00:59:49 - 01:00:06 | Speaker 5:

Yes, the whole time he's going, there's a man I don't know in my house. Oh, is this a friend of yours? No, it's a man I don't know waiting for my wife. Nancy Pelosi is the Capitol Police here. How could you go more straightforward of I need help without saying I need help? Call us back if you need your mind.

01:00:07 - 01:00:29 | Speaker 7:

Call us back if you need help. No, no, no. This gentleman just came into the house, and he wants to wait here for my wife to come home. And so, anyway, he told me to put the phone down. Do you know who the person is? No, I don't know who he is. He told me not to do anything. What is your address, sir?

01:00:30 - 01:00:31 | Speaker 3:

Now she starts getting concerned.

01:00:31 - 01:00:33 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, there you go. You're in 2640 Broadway.

01:00:33 - 01:00:37 | Speaker 5:

0, 2, 25, and 0. What is your name?

01:00:38 - 01:00:59 | Speaker 3:

My name is Paul Pelosi. How is it, by the way, and remember this was the case with this, the Capitol Police are supposed to be watching and monitoring the videos. How is it that the third in charge to the White House, or to the leadership, doesn't have, like, security out in front of their home? Even if she's not there, at least watch the home.

01:00:59 - 01:01:19 | Speaker 5:

At the 830 Dirties, we're going to talk about all these Hollywood break-ins, and I think it applies to this break-in as well, and how we think there's all this security around these homes. There really is not, and it's actually quite terrifying. That man has been charged with attempted murder, residential burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, false imprisonment of an elder, and threats to a public official and their family.

01:01:19 - 01:01:27 | Speaker 3:

And he came out in an interview this weekend and says he wished he would have hit him harder, I think. It was like his quote the guy said in an interview. The guy that was the hammer-wielding guy.

01:01:28 - 01:01:36 | Speaker 5:

DeMar Hamlin, for the first time since this accident, is talking on camera about his emergency on the field of the Buffalo Bengals game a few weeks ago.

01:01:36 - 01:01:50 | Speaker 1:

This is just the beginning of the impact that I wanted to have on the world. And with God's guidance, I will continue to do wonderful and great things. I couldn't do this without any of the support and the love. And I can't wait to continue to take y'all on this journey with me.

01:01:51 - 01:02:17 | Speaker 5:

I love that he said that he views all of this as a blessing because he was able to inspire others through the tragedy. who said it was a great example of humanity over everything, gave tons of gratitude to the Bills' medical staff, the doctors at the hospitals he was at, his teammates, the Bills' mafia, the NFL. The Bills, they didn't make it to the Super Bowl, but the Chiefs and the Eagles did. And Travis Kelsey, he and his brother, is this true, are the first brothers who are going to play against each other at the Super Bowl?

01:02:18 - 01:02:21 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, his brother plays for the Eagles, and he plays for the Chiefs.

01:02:21 - 01:02:31 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I think that is so cool. But I do love the fact that we already have the smack talk locked and loaded. Travis was at first calling out Joe Burrow. Is that right?

01:02:31 - 01:02:41 | Speaker 6:

So thank God, man. Burrow hit my ass. It's Mahomes' house.

01:02:41 - 01:02:48 | Speaker 2:

So Mahomes is trying to do a press interview right here. And he runs up on him and just starts screaming on camera. And this is just excitement, adrenaline. They're not drinking yet.

01:02:49 - 01:02:54 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely amazing. And then he went after the Cincinnati mayor. Nobody was safe. I appreciate you.

01:02:54 - 01:03:12 | Speaker 6:

How about this beautiful trophy? Huh? Hey, I got some wise words for that Cincinnati mayor. Know your role and shut your mouth, you jabroni. You gotta fight for your right jabroni.

01:03:14 - 01:03:15 | Speaker 2:

Oh, man.

01:03:15 - 01:03:22 | Speaker 5:

Is this just a sign of a fat guy, or is this something that other people do? So yesterday I went and picked up a carryout order at Red Robin for me, Chelsea, and Luke, my wife and my son. And I do this all the time whenever I go pick up a carryout order if I'm not going to have it door dashed in. i always order something to eat while i'm driving home and i call it my uh my drive home food like for instance yesterday I ordered an extra side of Red Robin steak fries, well done, and a side of ranch, which is, by the way, not easy to eat while you're driving home from Commerce Township to West Bloomfield. But if I go to other places, like, for instance, Culver's, I always get a little Culver's ... Pretzel bites. No.

01:05:21 - 01:05:22 | Speaker 5:

It's the pretzel bites. I do the fries.

01:05:22 - 01:05:26 | Speaker 3:

I do a car ride Culver. I actually get myself a burger for the car ride.

01:05:26 - 01:05:30 | Speaker 5:

Full butter burger. Yeah. I love it. You know what I call that? It's a little treat.

01:05:30 - 01:05:31 | Speaker 3:

It's a little treat. It's a little treat.

01:05:31 - 01:05:32 | Speaker 5:

Exactly.

01:05:33 - 01:05:59 | Speaker 3:

When I order from the restaurant that's by my house, Lulu's, that Misfit Victor's family owns, I always ask for a side of their chicken salad in a cup. And I'll, you know, when I'll go there. And actually, it's funny because Victor knows this. He will hand me the cup with a little spoon on top of it and say, this is for your ride home. It's like a little thing. Do you do that or is that just a fat guy thing? Spike, do you do that? No. No. You don't do that? Oh, good. You're missing out.

01:05:59 - 01:06:06 | Speaker 2:

I do the opposite. I actually put the food I pick up in the back seat so I can't reach it on the way home. Really?

01:06:06 - 01:06:13 | Speaker 3:

Well, that's a skinny guy move because I'm telling you, you need to have that. I can't drive in the car with that smell. It drives me nuts.

01:06:13 - 01:06:18 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't have the self-control. I'll eat my daughter's food. I'll eat everybody's food, so I have to put it out of reach.

01:06:18 - 01:06:29 | Speaker 3:

My problem is if I have it in the car and it smells good, I need to have a little taste, you know, a little something for my palate just to kind of keep me from, like, driving off the road, you know?

01:06:29 - 01:06:30 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:06:30 - 01:06:34 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. Is this something that just Megan and I? Mike, you do it to me?

01:06:34 - 01:06:47 | Speaker 4:

No, that's why I swear by pocket snacks. You always have snacks on you. Always have a snack on you. That way you don't, because I don't like sitting, if I'm being honest, I don't like sitting in a drive-thru. I think it is the longest, most boring thing in the entire, I do not like it.

01:06:47 - 01:06:51 | Speaker 5:

I love it. It's like foreplay. I love it.

01:06:52 - 01:07:53 | Speaker 3:

I, I searched out what would be a good term for this. And I, cause I call it, you know, my, my car ride, you know, food. I searched it by saying, what's the best thing that you eat while you're in your car. And there's a story that was on car and driver magazine or in car and driver magazine, like last year, where the reporter for Car and Driver put together the best and the worst foods to eat while driving. Would you like to know what some of them are? Yes, please. All right, so best for driving, McDonald's cheeseburgers. This writer says, the ideal burger for driving, compact, delicious, and drip-free. He also says, a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich, a classic for drivers and passengers alike, tidy and delicious. Tidy. KFC popcorn nuggets Tricky to dip while driving But bare naked They're still decent

01:07:53 - 01:07:54 | Speaker 5:

They're just poppable, babe

01:07:54 - 01:08:07 | Speaker 3:

And he even goes on to say Believe it or not, you can go to Taco Bell And get a Taco Bell potato taco One of the only things at Taco Bell That is unlikely to ruin your shirt

01:08:07 - 01:08:09 | Speaker 5:

Get it with a spicy ranch Oh, it'll change your life

01:08:09 - 01:08:23 | Speaker 3:

One of the worst for driving foods McDonald's big breakfast with pancakes, says the only conceivable way that you can eat this is to roll up the pancakes like a tube and then gnaw on them. Oh, like a pancake taco? That sounds delicious.

01:08:23 - 01:08:25 | Speaker 2:

Nothing wrong with that. Sounds like a challenge.

01:08:26 - 01:08:35 | Speaker 3:

The Starbucks spinach and egg white wrap, super drippy, the single wettiest and leakiest breakfast item that I've ever encountered.

01:08:35 - 01:08:37 | Speaker 2:

True. True. I always end up

01:08:37 - 01:08:54 | Speaker 3:

wearing that one. He also says that anything from Subway, you can't eat in your car. It's impossible. Taco Bell Crunchy Taco Supremes. Delicious, but you'll have lettuce, cheese, tomato bits, and crunches of your taco all over your car by the time that you eat this thing.

01:08:54 - 01:09:01 | Speaker 5:

Some people would say you can extend your snack that way because then as you're picking the tomatoes and lettuce and the cheese, it's like for later. Little crumbs for later.

01:09:01 - 01:09:10 | Speaker 4:

Why doesn't somebody create a seatbelt, like napkin, or like, what is it called? A seatbelt, not napkin. I can't, bib. Like a seatbelt bib.

01:09:10 - 01:09:15 | Speaker 3:

That's a great idea. I like that damn word. And also on his list of worst things to eat while driving.

01:09:16 - 01:09:20 | Speaker 5:

Whopper, Whopper, Whopper, Whopper, Jr., double, triple, Whopper.

01:09:20 - 01:09:32 | Speaker 3:

Even a Whopper Jr., he says, is bad, especially if you put the bacon on it. It's bad. Yeah. Adela, hello.

01:09:34 - 01:09:34 | Speaker 1:

Hi.

01:09:34 - 01:09:36 | Speaker 3:

Do you do this, Adela?

01:09:36 - 01:09:53 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God, I have to. Of course, first of all, I love you guys. I've been listening forever and ever. We love you, too. I do have to get an extra large fry for my ride home, no matter how far. Even if I'm 30 seconds away, I am not cooking my new fries until I get out to eat my burger.

01:09:53 - 01:09:57 | Speaker 3:

You're getting a standing O from all of us here. We love you for that.

01:09:57 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 1:

That's your food, you guys. You have to eat it at home together.

01:10:00 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 6:

It's not going to be the same.

01:10:01 - 01:10:12 | Speaker 2:

My problem is Chelsea knows when I will go pick up like McDonald's and I'll get an extra fry for myself that I ate them because she'll go back into my car afterwards and she'll see the grease marks with my fingerprints on them on the steering wheel.

01:10:13 - 01:10:14 | Speaker 8:

Oh, 100%. All the time.

01:10:14 - 01:10:21 | Speaker 2:

I need to go to like O'Reilly Auto Parts and get wipes and keep them in my car.

01:10:21 - 01:10:26 | Speaker 6:

Oh, you have to. Or sanitizing wipes. You got to prepare them. Not for germs, but for fries in the steering wheel.

01:10:27 - 01:10:35 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Steph has an item to put in the car, Mike, to go along with your bib that you say that the automakers should have on the seatbelt. What's that, Steph?

01:10:36 - 01:10:45 | Speaker 5:

Actually, there are condiment holders that you plug into your air vent. So you can put your side of ranch or any other side and drive.

01:10:45 - 01:10:54 | Speaker 2:

Is it that company that makes the best floor mats ever? What's that company that they do the commercials? WeatherTech. WeatherTech, yeah.

01:10:54 - 01:10:55 | Speaker 3:

They do make everything.

01:10:56 - 01:11:06 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to go on there, and I'm going to keyword condiments. See what comes up. What's going on? Is this Vaseem?

01:11:07 - 01:11:07 | Speaker 7:

Naseem.

01:11:07 - 01:11:08 | Speaker 2:

Naseem. Hi, Naseem.

01:11:09 - 01:11:10 | Speaker 7:

Hey, Moja. How are you?

01:11:10 - 01:11:13 | Speaker 2:

You know what? I'm doing great. I'm getting hungry, though, talking about this.

01:11:14 - 01:11:17 | Speaker 7:

Well, you have to come visit me in my bake shop in Clarkston.

01:11:17 - 01:11:18 | Speaker 2:

What do you have that's good?

01:11:18 - 01:11:19 | Speaker 7:

Right next to the wood shop.

01:11:19 - 01:11:22 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? Oh, I love that little place.

01:11:22 - 01:11:33 | Speaker 7:

Yep, yep, yep. So I always ask people Because they come in and get a dozen donuts Or they get a bunch of cookies And I ask them if they want a car donut You need a separate bag for your car donut

01:11:33 - 01:11:34 | Speaker 2:

Brilliant

01:11:34 - 01:11:38 | Speaker 7:

No one knows It's on the DL And then when you get to your spot You can have your donut

01:11:38 - 01:11:42 | Speaker 2:

A car donut Wait, what's the name of the bakery?

01:11:42 - 01:11:44 | Speaker 7:

Clarkson Village Bake Shop

01:11:44 - 01:11:49 | Speaker 2:

Clarkson Village Is that why they call it a baker's dozen? Because they give you 13 And it's for the car ride?

01:11:51 - 01:11:52 | Speaker 7:

Well, maybe

01:11:52 - 01:11:58 | Speaker 2:

That's interesting Somebody needs to explain that to me. We're going to have to come in and see you. That's a great place, by the way.

01:11:58 - 01:12:00 | Speaker 7:

Come in and see me. We've been there for a really long time.

01:12:01 - 01:12:15 | Speaker 2:

I love it. Nisha, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. By the way, I know that I'm a heavy guy, but I did just recently lose almost 50 pounds on Ideal You, but I sound like I'm putting it all back on by this topic. What's going on, Nisha?

01:12:16 - 01:12:35 | Speaker 4:

It's so funny that you said that because I had gastric bypass, and I lost a bunch of weight. But before, I used to call it a snacklet because I would get a miniature snack before I had, like, first lunch or second lunch or whatever. But now my damn snacklet just turned into my damn dinner because I can't eat big meals. So my little snacklet is my dinner.

01:12:35 - 01:12:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Wow. What do you think about that caller that said that they have a condiment holder? You could actually get something for your food, maybe something refrigerated, because if you do have gastric bypass, you have to eat in little doses. And maybe you have to have like a little place to put that food So you can have it

01:12:52 - 01:13:00 | Speaker 4:

I have like a little compartment in my cruise That I can put my little like dipping stuff And I sit in there and I dip my little nuggies Actually

01:13:00 - 01:13:05 | Speaker 3:

You know how I know Nisha's our people And we can hang with her? Because she said first lunch and second lunch

01:13:05 - 01:13:12 | Speaker 2:

They have also with the condiment holder What do they have, Brittany?

01:13:14 - 01:13:25 | Speaker 6:

They have It's an adjustable car tray and phone holder, so it sits in your top holder, and it comes up. It's got a tray, and you can, like, set your snacks or dipping sauce and your phone right in it.

01:13:25 - 01:13:26 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

01:13:27 - 01:13:29 | Speaker 6:

Up to, like, your, you know, like, your chest level.

01:13:29 - 01:13:33 | Speaker 2:

I need that. Forget self-driving cars. I want one that will...

01:13:33 - 01:13:34 | Speaker 6:

Is that five and below?

01:13:35 - 01:13:51 | Speaker 2:

Really? Okay. I want one that will heat up my food for me. Is it hypno? Hypno. Hypno. It's funny. I don't know why. To myself, I said to myself, Hypno, but for some reason I've been mispronouncing everybody's names. Go ahead, Hypno. What do you got?

01:13:52 - 01:14:10 | Speaker 9:

Oh, man, it was a long time ago. My dad was eating a Kentucky Fried Chicken Bowl, and he had an excursion, and he pushed like 13 cars through a red light. Oh, my gosh. Oh, man. Corn and mashed potatoes on your shirt will get you. But it's so good. Either way.

01:14:11 - 01:14:13 | Speaker 3:

Can you imagine how much that mashed potatoes cost him?

01:14:13 - 01:14:22 | Speaker 9:

The cop was like What the hell is wrong with you Oh it got on my shirt Oh man

01:14:22 - 01:14:27 | Speaker 2:

I love that They actually probably wrote it in the police report Didn't they

01:14:27 - 01:14:31 | Speaker 9:

I'm sure the airbag probably blew the mashed potatoes

01:14:31 - 01:14:35 | Speaker 2:

Oh my god I would still sit there and try to eat it off the airbag

01:14:35 - 01:14:41 | Speaker 9:

Right You got a little corn on your face We now know why it's called

01:14:41 - 01:14:42 | Speaker 2:

The baker's dozen Why is that John

01:14:42 - 01:14:50 | Speaker 1:

It's because the 13th Donut is supposed to be The test donut to make sure that the batch is good

01:14:50 - 01:14:55 | Speaker 2:

There you go And that's what we're doing when we're driving Home and eating it right John

01:14:55 - 01:14:57 | Speaker 3:

We're testing we're helping

01:14:57 - 01:15:00 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for the call it's going to be a good week of phone scanning

01:15:00 - 01:15:41 | Speaker 1:

So keep listening for the phone scams at 650, 750, and 950. It's Mojo in the Morning Show. You're home of the phone scams. We're going to call Amber. They recently moved into a new apartment complex, and I guess everyone who runs it is really old, and she says really weird. So we're going to actually have some fun. They try to avoid bumping into coworkers because they talk forever. So Spike is going to dial up and pretend to be one of the people that works at the apartment management office with this phone scam this morning. Yee, yee, yee, yee, yeah, it'll scare you. It's Mojo in the Morning Phone Scams.

01:15:48 - 01:16:56 | Speaker 2:

Hello? Hi, I'd like to speak to Amber or Doug, please. Speaking. Is this Amber or is this Doug? this is amber this is sandy from the front office you live in apartment 612 is that correct yes ma'am do you know carl the property manager uh yes ma'am well i'm carl's girlfriend and he had to run out and get some supplies so carl put me in charge of some phone calls tonight carl took me down applebee's for our anniversary tonight but they didn't have a smoking section so So we didn't stay too long on account of me not knowing where I would have put my nicotine patch on. This is the third time I stopped there at Applebee's that they didn't have their natural light. So I didn't stay long and you shouldn't go either if you like natural light. Anyway, we have an issue in the community with the dog poops. Can I talk to you for a second about your dog? Of course. Well, someone I go to church with was telling me that your dog was the one that's the offender because we've been finding a lot of dog poops around the common areas and the entrance and the pool.

01:16:57 - 01:17:02 | Speaker 3:

Oh, but that's not us. That's not our dog. I mean, we do a really good job of cleaning up after him.

01:17:02 - 01:17:03 | Speaker 2:

But you do have a dog, correct?

01:17:04 - 01:17:05 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I do have a dog.

01:17:05 - 01:17:11 | Speaker 2:

They told me the lady that goes to church with me was telling me she saw you out walking your dog.

01:17:12 - 01:17:15 | Speaker 3:

They saw a chihuahua because I clean up after my dog.

01:17:16 - 01:17:24 | Speaker 2:

These poops are big, so I'm not so sure it's from a chihuahua. It's got to be from a bigger dog, like. What other dogs do you have?

01:17:25 - 01:17:26 | Speaker 3:

We just have the one Chihuahua.

01:17:26 - 01:17:43 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my heavens to Dickens. You know what I just realized? I think I left my NASCAR lighter on the bar top at Applebee's. I got to find an Uber. You like to turn up, Amber? Do I like to what? You like to turn up. Do you party?

01:17:45 - 01:17:45 | Speaker 3:

Not really.

01:17:46 - 01:19:11 | Speaker 2:

Good, because I tried to turn up once, And now I got to blow into a tube to drive. Anyway, I guess it's not your dog then. I'm going to make a note here on the file to tell Louiezy that it wasn't your dog and also to tell Carl when he comes back to the office. And are you going to be having a Super Bowl party? No. Oh, because if you want to have a party, it's okay. Just keep the volume low. And if you are, let me or Carl know, because I can bring some butter cookies and we'll come on down. well i'll let you know if i do yes you do i put some cbd oil in there it's really good but it's lights out for me at 9 p.m honey so i won't be seeing the end of that game that's fine yeah they're the same cookies i made when nigel was released on bond do you know nigel no i don't yeah he just got out on murder charges and he's clear now he's you probably met him he's the Maintenance guy, he's probably been in your apartment. Maybe you weren't home. Anyway, I got to get back to cooking these chimichangas for Carl. When he gets back, he's going to be hungry since we didn't stay at the Applebee's. That's why I thought I'd give you a call. Everything going well? I'm sorry? Oh, I forgot to ask you before I go. Is your dog pooping on the lawn out in the entrance or the common areas?

01:19:12 - 01:19:18 | Speaker 3:

I'm sorry, ma'am. We discussed that at the beginning of the call. It's not my dog. Me too.

01:19:18 - 01:19:46 | Speaker 2:

I guess you're confused. Why don't you give us a call back when you know what you're calling for? Oh, okay. Oh, is Amber there? This is Amber. I forgot one more thing I got to tell you. This is actually Spike from the Mojo in the Morning Show, and you've just been the victim of a phone scam, Amber. You're on the Mojo in the Morning Show right now. Oh, my God. Doug said there's quite some colorful characters in that apartment complex.

01:19:47 - 01:19:48 | Speaker 3:

There certainly are, but hopefully no murderers.

01:19:49 - 01:19:51 | Speaker 2:

You never know until you have a Super Bowl party.

01:19:54 - 01:20:14 | Speaker 1:

We will, we will scam you. If I could say anything I wanted to, I'd say that was f***ing funny s*** right there. I don't care who you are. It's the home of the world-famous phone scams, Mojo in the Morning. What's up? What's up? What's up? What's up?

01:20:14 - 01:20:22 | Speaker 2:

Somebody asked me the other day, they go, would you be offended if I told you I listened to you on Spotify? And I said, I wouldn't, but Bob Pittman would, you know, which if Bob's angry, I'm angry. So don't make Bob angry. Listen to us on the iHeartRadio app, but make sure at very least, I don't care if you listen to us on a Coca-Cola can.

01:21:52 - 01:21:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh.

01:21:53 - 01:21:55 | Speaker 1:

They used to be able to back in.

01:21:55 - 01:21:55 | Speaker 2:

Is that real?

01:21:55 - 01:22:06 | Speaker 1:

Like a little string to another can Now you guys don't remember that Because you guys are kids that always had technology You guys had iPhones when you were like 10

01:22:06 - 01:22:10 | Speaker 3:

That is correct I don't think a radio ever worked on a Coca-Cola can

01:22:10 - 01:22:14 | Speaker 1:

No, we used to talk to each other We would have cans

01:22:14 - 01:22:17 | Speaker 3:

You're really trying to sell this

01:22:17 - 01:22:47 | Speaker 1:

When I was a kid, my brothers used to do that We'd make it That was actually my brother's 8th grade science fair uh thing was how to communicate through a can and honestly you couldn't hear crap actually actually i was going to say you couldn't hear dick but it was like you couldn't hear at all and it was basically you heard the guy talking in the can and the can echoed for some reason but i bet you that there's some kind of an engineer or something that could tell us that that actually did work call mark where's mark at right now tell him that the can pretty soon if we stay in the

01:22:47 - 01:22:50 | Speaker 3:

If we had him come in here for that, he would beat us.

01:22:50 - 01:23:14 | Speaker 1:

If we stay in this building until September, like they're telling us to, we're going to be broadcasting from a Coca-Cola can. That's literally going to be what we're going to be using for equipment. KP, who's only been with us. She's our producer. She's our executive producer. She's only been with the show for less than six months. It's been just a few months. She already is getting into fights with Tony Travato.

01:23:14 - 01:23:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, fist fights. I'm really proud of you. Our boss, Tony.

01:23:17 - 01:23:26 | Speaker 1:

It's crazy. What's up with this position that everybody that's in the position of KP ends up, they get to have a little, but they're always like fun spats.

01:23:27 - 01:23:31 | Speaker 2:

The real question is, what's wrong with Tony that everybody wants to fight him?

01:23:32 - 01:23:38 | Speaker 3:

He's the middleman here. Or what's the, no, comedy nominator. He's a comedy nominator. He's a comedy nominator. You got there.

01:23:39 - 01:23:42 | Speaker 1:

I forgot the Taylor Swift. I was going to say, it's me. Hi.

01:23:42 - 01:23:44 | Speaker 3:

Hi, it's me. I'm the problem, it's me.

01:23:44 - 01:23:48 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Okay, so what was your argument with Tony, our boss, about?

01:23:48 - 01:24:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I was sitting in his office. We were just talking about a bunch of random stuff. And a sales rep, Hassan, comes in and starts talking about concrete. And I zone out because I don't care about that. And Tony says something about asphalt. He goes, he calls it asphalt. And I interrupt the conversation because I'm intrigued now. I'm like, did you just say asphalt? That's what it is. Yeah. What did you call it? I said asphalt. I've been saying it asphalt my entire life. Have you ever looked at it written out on a piece of paper? You know what? I don't care how it looks on a piece of paper. It looks like ash. I'm going to call it asphalt. And I rallied my troops of one person. Someone else agrees with me. And guess you won't believe who agrees with me. Mojo. I do. I do. Yeah.

01:24:34 - 01:24:42 | Speaker 1:

I have to say this. Tony Travato is wrong on this one. It is not asphalt.

01:24:42 - 01:25:03 | Speaker 2:

asphalt it's asphalt can i let kp on on something what if your only defender on pronunciation i'm like oh shoot the guy who says husband with the t and he says expresso come on He drinks milk

01:25:03 - 01:25:07 | Speaker 1:

You guys are so mean That's not nice of you to say that to me

01:25:07 - 01:25:10 | Speaker 2:

I've never heard asphalt before

01:25:10 - 01:25:23 | Speaker 1:

Hold on, Tony Travato's on with us Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome The program director of this radio station Tony Travato Hello, Mr. Program Director Tony

01:25:23 - 01:25:24 | Speaker 4:

What is happening?

01:25:25 - 01:25:34 | Speaker 1:

I can't believe that you're a guy that is educated like you are from Central Michigan University? Did they actually give you a degree?

01:25:35 - 01:25:39 | Speaker 6:

No, no. And Lansing Community College. And Lansing Community College.

01:25:40 - 01:25:43 | Speaker 2:

No reason to flex here on this show.

01:25:43 - 01:25:46 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, what was the mascot of LCC?

01:25:46 - 01:25:49 | Speaker 6:

I don't know. Good question.

01:25:49 - 01:25:57 | Speaker 1:

So, Tony, no professor had ever corrected you when you said asphalt? Yes.

01:25:58 - 01:26:04 | Speaker 6:

No, and I was trying to keep KP from the embarrassment on Friday, so I was educating her on the proper pronunciation.

01:26:05 - 01:26:06 | Speaker 3:

You're the one that told me to make it a topic.

01:26:07 - 01:26:10 | Speaker 2:

She doubled down. She wanted to show everybody how wrong she was.

01:26:12 - 01:26:16 | Speaker 6:

She wanted to fight about it. I'm like, hey, I'm not going to fight you about this. Call it whatever you want.

01:26:16 - 01:26:22 | Speaker 1:

It was funny because we were out, Steve Gabara, Monty, a group of us, and didn't other people agree?

01:26:23 - 01:26:26 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I don't remember who, but somebody. Yeah. It wasn't you.

01:26:26 - 01:26:27 | Speaker 1:

Besides me.

01:26:27 - 01:26:33 | Speaker 3:

somebody smarter than me pity pity vote from my boss yeah so i think they were just trying to make

01:26:33 - 01:26:47 | Speaker 2:

her feel better great not make her feel bad well sometimes if i hear somebody mispronounce something i will encourage it and tell them they're right because i want to i want them to continue doing it wrong in public and it's funny to me yeah like i'll tell them no no you're right and let them keep

01:26:47 - 01:27:14 | Speaker 3:

using it incorrectly so i had a you guys just made me think of a moment where i was dating someone who used the wrong word and he uh well dating is a wrong word he goes why did why did you think that we were monotonous and i'm like monotonous did you mean monogamous so he thought i didn't i didn't clarify with him because i didn't want to make him feel bad for

01:27:14 - 01:27:31 | Speaker 1:

saying monotonous hold on a second oh i was gonna grab that we have we've got like four or five phone calls. Now the contractors are calling in and say, yeah, that's what we need. Forget all these, uh, proper speaking, you know, university graduates. Let's ask the people that work in the

01:27:31 - 01:27:35 | Speaker 2:

business. What do you call it? Well, it's called asphalt. You look at the word. There's, there's

01:27:35 - 01:27:41 | Speaker 1:

no, it's not A S H A S P H A L T. Right. And that's where the fault comes in. Yeah. A S is

01:27:41 - 01:27:52 | Speaker 2:

ass the pha is fault isn't it it shouldn't be ass halt that's not a silent p that's ass halt

01:27:52 - 01:28:13 | Speaker 1:

by the way don't dump that because that was not a swear word i just want you to know that getting close um tony does it bother you that all of these producer types like uh kp and her predecessor they sit there and they you know you you got years of programming experience and They're questioning you on this.

01:28:14 - 01:28:23 | Speaker 6:

No, I just wanted to clarify that there may not be two S's in asphalt, but it is pronounced that way.

01:28:23 - 01:28:23 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

01:28:24 - 01:28:27 | Speaker 6:

She was dug in on this, for sure.

01:28:27 - 01:28:37 | Speaker 1:

My favorite texter is somebody that says, we just call it concrete. It's totally different. Mojo in the morning, hello. You're on with our boss, Tony. Make him feel special, okay?

01:28:39 - 01:28:40 | Speaker 5:

Hi, Tony.

01:28:40 - 01:28:41 | Speaker 6:

Hey, how are you?

01:28:42 - 01:28:59 | Speaker 5:

Good. How's it going today? You talked to the PD. I was listening to a discussion on asphalt or asphalt. And I looked it up, and they said, in the United States, it is clearly asphalt. But in Canada, it's clearly asphalt.

01:29:00 - 01:29:00 | Speaker 1:

What?

01:29:01 - 01:29:02 | Speaker 5:

It's different in different countries.

01:29:03 - 01:29:04 | Speaker 1:

Wait a second.

01:29:04 - 01:29:05 | Speaker 5:

It's different in different countries.

01:29:05 - 01:29:15 | Speaker 1:

So, Tony, you know what? maybe KP, being from Lake Orion, has a little bit She's further north. She's got a little bit of Canadian in her, right?

01:29:15 - 01:29:23 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. I just found it very interesting. A little bit different there. Who knows why? Canadians, I guess. Can I ask you a

01:29:23 - 01:29:25 | Speaker 1:

question? What is your first name?

01:29:26 - 01:29:26 | Speaker 5:

Rosemary.

01:29:27 - 01:29:37 | Speaker 1:

I thought for some reason it was Susan Schramm calling us up right now. Our traffic manager. Didn't it sound like Susan? I thought, this is Susan Schramm calling up to talk to her boyfriend, Tony Travato.

01:29:38 - 01:29:39 | Speaker 5:

Oh, sure.

01:29:40 - 01:29:40 | Speaker 1:

Thanks, Rosemary.

01:29:40 - 01:29:43 | Speaker 5:

No problem. I can be Susan if you want.

01:29:44 - 01:29:46 | Speaker 1:

Really? What would you dress in?

01:29:48 - 01:29:49 | Speaker 5:

It's a secret.

01:29:50 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 1:

I love it. All right. Thank you. Diane, hello. You're on with Mojo in the Morning, and we have our great debate going on right now.

01:30:00 - 01:30:09 | Speaker 5:

yeah i know i hear good morning guys good morning is it ash or ass it's definitely ass

01:30:09 - 01:30:22 | Speaker 1:

ash no ass ass okay work for a jack paving and my boss told me it's asphalt and you gotta say it

01:30:22 - 01:30:32 | Speaker 5:

like you're swearing so you work for a paving company do you know what kp's mom does she works for MDOT. That woman knows roads. Don't you think she would have corrected

01:30:32 - 01:30:35 | Speaker 3:

her a long time ago? She doesn't pave them. She just looks at traffic.

01:30:38 - 01:30:44 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I love you guys. We love you too. God, it's a Monday, isn't it? Brandon, hello.

01:30:45 - 01:30:52 | Speaker 6:

Hey, at my company, everyone around us, we call Ashfall. A-S-H. Or A-S-P-A, however you spell it.

01:30:53 - 01:30:54 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Are you Canadian?

01:30:55 - 01:30:56 | Speaker 6:

That's what we call it.

01:30:56 - 01:30:57 | Speaker 2:

Are you Canadian?

01:30:58 - 01:31:02 | Speaker 6:

No, we're American. We work out of Oak Park.

01:31:02 - 01:31:07 | Speaker 3:

Well, it sounds like your company can hire KP. She might be able to work there and fit in.

01:31:08 - 01:31:30 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. What else was KP arguing with you about, Tony? Because sometimes she gets a little spicy. And she had a 23-year-old that, man, I'm going to tell you, I've gotten in more arguments with her than I've gotten into with my son. Tony? Oh, we lost him. Oh, sorry. He was coming. We know you're talking to us. No, no. Were you on the other line with Susan Schramm?

01:31:31 - 01:31:31 | Speaker 7:

I was.

01:31:32 - 01:31:32 | Unknown:

What else?

01:31:32 - 01:31:40 | Speaker 5:

Can we fight about it? No. Did you guys – how did this – like, how do you guys get into this conversation? I don't understand that. Like, what brought you to that?

01:31:41 - 01:31:56 | Speaker 7:

Well, she was part of a riveting conversation about laying concrete. And then Hassan said, couldn't you just put down asphalt? And she said, it's not asphalt, you dummies. Jesus, it's asphalt.

01:31:57 - 01:32:00 | Speaker 3:

Oh, man, that's the best. When she was so bold to correct someone at the table.

01:32:00 - 01:32:04 | Speaker 5:

Can't you write her up for that? Yeah. Isn't that a write-up moment right there?

01:32:05 - 01:32:06 | Speaker 7:

There you go.

01:32:06 - 01:32:11 | Speaker 5:

Put it in her personal file. All right, talk to you later, Tony. We'll see you.

01:32:11 - 01:32:11 | Speaker 7:

See you guys.

01:32:11 - 01:32:15 | Speaker 5:

Hey, by the way, how's traffic right now? We got a lot of listeners out there on the roads?

01:32:15 - 01:32:22 | Speaker 7:

Traffic looking good. Looking good. That's your traffic report. I'm Megan on Motio on the morning.

01:32:22 - 01:32:32 | Speaker 5:

Tony, Shannon's out today. I don't know if you know that, but did you hear the reporter, the traffic reporter that we got filling in for Shannon today? She's awesome.

01:32:32 - 01:32:43 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We usually have, what, Heather Pascoe? She's great. This is another dude who's just doing the reports on a smoke break for us. Listen to this guy.

01:32:43 - 01:32:44 | Speaker 5:

Hold on, hold on. Check this out.

01:32:44 - 01:33:07 | Speaker 4:

Speaking of the roads. We do have the closure of 94 westbound between Jackson and old U.S. 12 of Washtenaw County. Traffic is now from Baker Road westbound. Eastbound traffic slows because of Gawker delays. We have 75 southbound after Grange Hall with an accident. Also, slow traffic on 275 between Ford Road and M14. I'm Rick Schrepp with traffic.

01:33:08 - 01:33:13 | Speaker 5:

Hello. Is that the most amazing voice you've ever heard?

01:33:13 - 01:33:19 | Speaker 7:

It's a great voice, and you know who his boss is? I'm not making this up. It's Ashley Ass-Fall.

01:33:21 - 01:33:42 | Speaker 5:

All right, dude. It's Mojo in the morning. just minutes away from the second date update so stick around for that channel 955 104.5 snx and 92.5 kiss fm so mike i saw that your car that you by the way mike and megan are in our studio this morning and i and it's nice to have you guys here but i saw the parking lot that's not your

01:33:42 - 01:34:20 | Speaker 2:

normal car that you're driving no no no uh kia of grand rapids north gave me a k5 uh yeah it's a k5 to drive around for the weekend so they let me take all these cars throughout the year and just kind of take them for the weekend and i'm going on a road trip in in april and they're letting me take a car then too and um and so they let me use this k5 for the weekend and it's kind of awesome because it's got like snow mode and all these other things that i didn't even know were an actual thing but that's nice yeah yeah it's fun put miles on that and not your lease right yeah that's exactly what it is and i get to try out all these different cars because eventually i need a i'm gonna need a bigger car for for a new baby but yeah i've always said that

01:34:20 - 01:34:42 | Speaker 5:

one of the greatest things ever would be just to rent a car like instead of like going out and buying one just rent it and every week you turn in a new one because i love cars and i don't care what kind of car it is i'm not a sports car type person i mean hell i saw like a chevy volt the other day and i'm like oh that'd be cool to drive for like you know a week i'd probably get tired of it after a week because it might be a little too small for me so that's exactly what these are

01:34:42 - 01:35:06 | Speaker 2:

these are cars that they're they're going to eventually sell but i only drive them for a weekend so they got some miles on them already but i get to try all these different cars so every time they get a new car or different you know year of a car i get to try them and this one this one has a feature on it where you can put voice memos in the car and i have no idea what with that feature. I have no idea what I would actually ever use it for. But for this car specifically, I've been leaving voice memos in their car.

01:35:06 - 01:35:08 | Speaker 3:

For yourself or for the people that get it next?

01:35:08 - 01:35:10 | Speaker 2:

For the person that gets it next.

01:35:10 - 01:35:12 | Speaker 3:

What do you say? Yeah, what do you say?

01:35:12 - 01:35:34 | Speaker 2:

So I just, in the first one, I think I sent you the video too. In the first one, I was like, hey, it's Mike. I know whoever's going to buy this car. I hope you enjoy it. Just so you know, the heated seats are on the side. They're not in the front like they normally are. So that got me for, and I just talked for like 20 minutes because, you know, eventually they're going to go through their car and they're going to go, what the hell is this?

01:35:34 - 01:35:40 | Speaker 3:

I'm guessing they plug something in and just reset the whole car when they sell it. I hope not. They probably get rid of it, like blank it out.

01:35:40 - 01:35:50 | Speaker 2:

You didn't promote your station? I sure did. Yes, Michael, yes. I changed every station or every, yeah, every station in the car to that.

01:35:51 - 01:36:22 | Speaker 1:

I do put, hey, it's SNX. Mike, I do, whenever I rent a car and it's not even in town here, like even if it's like out of town on vacation, I put our station on the thing all the time because I want people and just like when I go to like Costco and they have like the radios playing like in Costco or they have like, you know, like where you can change the radio station. I always change our, to our radio station. Where did you send me the audio? Group chat. Okay. Group chat. Hold on. I got it right here. Let's listen to what Mike sounds like. Oh, here it goes.

01:36:23 - 01:36:24 | Speaker 4:

Yes, I dropped Skittles somewhere.

01:36:25 - 01:36:33 | Speaker 1:

I don't know where they are. Good luck finding them. Oh, my gosh. That's going to be kind of a little bit of a mystery for that person wondering.

01:36:35 - 01:36:51 | Speaker 4:

Hi, thank you for buying this car. I don't know if you know this, but I drove this car before you. I didn't own it or anything, but I drove it. I like it. It's a very nice car, and I love the color. You should turn all your stations to 104.5. It's an X. Hi, it's Mike from El Joe in the morning, by the way.

01:36:51 - 01:37:06 | Speaker 1:

that by the way genius marketing i love it do you have you guys ever rented a car and found something in the car or have the dealer ever let you use like one of their dealer cars and you go in the car and you're like oh my god you know somebody left their dirty diaper or somebody

01:37:06 - 01:37:21 | Speaker 3:

once i was like oh these are expensive sunglasses in a rental car yeah yeah what'd you do i was surprised i thought they must i wonder if they belong to the guy cleaning the car because usually the guy's cleaning the car the one yeah get the big you know treasure so i gave him my cousin i

01:37:21 - 01:37:27 | Speaker 1:

don't wear them i don't i don't i'd love to see you in some i know my limits you'd look like i

01:37:27 - 01:37:31 | Speaker 3:

would not look cool wearing them i was like let me give them to somebody who would fit their frame

01:37:31 - 01:37:47 | Speaker 1:

you'd look like cade man we'd be like piston superstar spider um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 or text 95500 what did you find in the the rental car or the you know the loaner car i leave things

01:37:47 - 01:37:56 | Speaker 3:

for them all the time oh my gosh i've left sunglasses and i've left gloves and i've left phone chargers i'm like it's it must be like an unintended tip i give the guys that are cleaning

01:37:56 - 01:38:21 | Speaker 1:

them out remember the case of the eaten banana in our station vehicle where somebody left the banana peel in there and it stayed in there for like the entire summer and we had a memo that was put out because the car smelled so bad and the banana peel basically rotted rotted to the point where it got into the carpet and they had to cut a piece of the carpet of the station vehicle out to get rid of the smell.

01:38:22 - 01:38:22 | Speaker 6:

Banana soup.

01:38:22 - 01:38:25 | Speaker 1:

It was so bad. Mojo in the morning, hello.

01:38:26 - 01:38:32 | Speaker 6:

Hello, yeah, I'm calling about the topic you guys are talking about right now. Yes, real quick though. Rental car stuff.

01:38:32 - 01:38:49 | Speaker 1:

Real quick though, before you even tell us your story, Spike, here it comes again. Life is a highway. I'm talking about a car. It's the only car song I got, man. I got to play it. Spike makes fun of me because any time we talk about cars, I always play life is on highway.

01:38:51 - 01:38:54 | Speaker 3:

I used to play it on the two tin cans and a string.

01:38:55 - 01:38:56 | Speaker 1:

What did you find in the car?

01:38:57 - 01:39:11 | Speaker 5:

I'm actually at car salesman at Reineke Ford in Sydney, Ohio. And we get stuff all the time left in cars. One car had a used condom in the center. Oh, gross. Hell yeah.

01:39:11 - 01:39:13 | Speaker 1:

What kind of a weekend was that guy having? I guess a good one, right?

01:39:14 - 01:39:15 | Speaker 5:

A good time, I guess.

01:39:16 - 01:39:19 | Speaker 1:

That's wild. Thank you for the call. What's going on, Mojo, in the morning? What did you find in the car?

01:39:20 - 01:39:25 | Speaker 5:

I swear I can't make this up. I found half a doobie in the center console.

01:39:25 - 01:39:27 | Speaker 2:

That's a win. That's like getting an extra tip.

01:39:28 - 01:39:33 | Speaker 3:

Do you enjoy the rest of it? Will you smoke it if you don't know whose lips were on it?

01:39:35 - 01:39:40 | Speaker 5:

Honestly, I did. Rolling doobies.

01:39:41 - 01:39:48 | Speaker 1:

That's fantastic. What's going on? Did you see Reese perk up? It was the first time all morning that Reese woke up. That's right when she said that.

01:39:48 - 01:39:49 | Speaker 6:

You got my attention.

01:39:50 - 01:39:55 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. Hi, it's Mojo in the morning. Hello? Hey, what did you find in the car?

01:39:55 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 6:

Well, I didn't find it, but I actually used the excuse.

01:40:00 - 01:40:27 | Speaker 5:

So I got a two-day rental car, had to take it back, and I made the excuse that my grandmother found a marijuana roach in the back of the car. And I got the car for free. Really? Oh, yeah. We're sorry, sir. We thought the car was clean before we gave it to you. We're going to go ahead and comp you on this one. Wow. We'll see you in the future. That's amazing. I didn't think that would work. Oh, it worked.

01:40:27 - 01:40:45 | Speaker 1:

So, I had recently rented a car, and they gave me a Toyota Sienna minivan, and somebody took the gas cap off of it. So, when I parked the car on, like, a little incline, the gas smell in the car got to be so bad because the fumes started coming into the car.

01:40:45 - 01:40:50 | Speaker 2:

And that's not something I would ever think to check. You do a quick walk around to make sure there's no damage, but you don't open the gas cap.

01:40:50 - 01:41:15 | Speaker 1:

Right. Well, I called up Hertz and told them that this was going on, and they ended up discounting my car. And then they said to me, they said, here's the deal. Go to an auto parts store, just buy a gas cap, put it on there, and then we'll give you the reimbursement. And they reimbursed me, too, which was kind of nice. What's going on, Logan? Hi, how's it going, Mojo? Good. You're an auto detailer, right? So you probably see a lot of stuff in cars.

01:41:16 - 01:41:34 | Speaker 4:

Oh, absolutely. We get a lot of, like, missing cords and everything like that, you know, everyday stuff. But I actually obtained a pair of Oakley sunglasses from cleaning out a Saturn, actually. It was great. They traded in our vehicle, and when they do that, we obtain all ownership of everything that's in the vehicle.

01:41:35 - 01:41:40 | Speaker 2:

I bet you find a lot of garage door clickers, all the remotes, because that's the one thing everybody...

01:41:40 - 01:41:53 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, we do have quite a few of those. Other than that, that's pretty much about it. That's pretty much it. A bunch of candy wrappers That's a lot of what we find Keep trying, you're going to find a doobie

01:41:53 - 01:41:59 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I love Skittles in the bottom of that K5 There's tons of them spread all over that car right now Brian, hi

01:41:59 - 01:42:02 | Speaker 3:

Hey, good morning Mojo Good morning guys

01:42:02 - 01:42:03 | Speaker 1:

Good morning buddy, what did you find in the car?

01:42:04 - 01:42:24 | Speaker 3:

Well, I used to work for a dealership And we found anything from drugs To a gun And one of our cars was actually involved In a robbery So the ATF came to the dealership and wanted all the tracking information, GPS that we had from the vehicle so they could link the robbery it was used in.

01:42:24 - 01:42:33 | Speaker 1:

Oh, wow. Wow. So did you find out, like, all the details after the fact? Like, did they come back and share with you, or did they not tell you anything?

01:42:34 - 01:42:47 | Speaker 3:

No, they didn't really come back. We kind of looked it up on our own and found some different things. But, I mean, we've seen all kinds of crazy things. One time, one of our cars ended up in Chicago, and it came back with a bullet hole in the door, and there was blood on the seat.

01:42:47 - 01:42:53 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Do you ever have to worry, like, my fingerprints are all over that car, and now it's used in a crime?

01:42:55 - 01:43:08 | Speaker 3:

The best one, though, I will say, there was one that there was a little bit of an eccentric guy, and they took his car. They repossessed his car for not making payments, and they got it back, and they popped the trunk, and it was full of, like, porno mags and sex toys.

01:43:09 - 01:43:15 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Well, he was busy. That's why he couldn't afford to do it. He was enjoying himself.

01:43:15 - 01:43:17 | Speaker 2:

Did he leave any voice memos? Was his name Mike?

01:43:20 - 01:43:23 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning Show. Let's do the second date update.

01:43:24 - 01:43:26 | Speaker 5:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

01:43:27 - 01:43:44 | Speaker 1:

We're going to find out why you're not getting a call back after you went out on a date. So, Caitlin, you like this guy and you wanted it to go further, but it didn't or hasn't. Can you just kind of set up for us a little bit about, like, what did you guys do when you first met?

01:43:46 - 01:44:07 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, so we went out on our first date, actually, last weekend to a concert. It was in Grand Rapids, and, I mean, I had a great time. I think he had a great time, too. It was one of those things where we had, like, you know, an immediate connection. I think I felt like the date went really well.

01:44:07 - 01:44:09 | Speaker 1:

He actually came back to your place afterwards, right?

01:44:10 - 01:44:13 | Speaker 6:

Yes. He stayed the night, actually, at my place.

01:44:14 - 01:44:17 | Speaker 1:

Did you guys fool around, if you don't mind me asking? We always have to ask that.

01:44:19 - 01:44:23 | Speaker 6:

I don't mind. Yes, we had sex. Get it, girl.

01:44:24 - 01:44:34 | Speaker 1:

And it was after this moment, after that date, that you haven't really gone on another date? You haven't had a second opportunity with him?

01:44:34 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 6:

yeah i mean which i mean it's a big change like we were texting every single day leaning up to the concert um but then the day after like just i wanted to make more plans so i i reached out to him and he i don't know his his vibe just sort of really changed um he he just gave me like a short you know sure thing i'll let you know kind of thing and Bye.

01:45:00 - 01:45:12 | Speaker 3:

And that was it Alright we're going to find out We're going to find out what's going on Why it's been over a week Tommy is his name Tommy are you okay with your voice on the radio

01:45:12 - 01:45:14 | Speaker 4:

Yeah

01:45:14 - 01:45:16 | Speaker 3:

No Tommy

01:45:16 - 01:45:19 | Speaker 2:

Are you there Tommy There he is

01:45:19 - 01:45:25 | Speaker 3:

I was muted there for a second Tommy say hi to Caitlin

01:45:25 - 01:45:33 | Speaker 6:

Hey Caitlin hi what's going on

01:45:33 - 01:45:48 | Speaker 3:

Tommy Tommy we're doing second date update and Caitlin was telling us about how you guys went out you know over a week ago and that you guys haven't reconnected after that and she just wanted to know what's going on Caitlin what do you want to ask him

01:45:48 - 01:46:10 | Speaker 5:

I you know I just kind of want to know where where you've been this week it feels very weird You know, we were texting so much, and I thought we had such a great time at the concert and that night, and I just, I kind of want to know what's going on, why you haven't responded again to me.

01:46:11 - 01:46:17 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, honestly, I've just been really busy.

01:46:18 - 01:46:22 | Speaker 3:

Too busy just to pick up the phone and make a phone call?

01:46:22 - 01:46:53 | Speaker 6:

yeah i mean yeah i mean that night that we went to the concert it was a great concert and everything like that and you know it was a great night like honestly i mean going back to your house and everything but like i'm gonna be honest here like we when when we were back at your house and like you you got up for a little bit you left your laptop on and you were like googling my address It really kind of freaked me out a little bit.

01:46:54 - 01:46:56 | Speaker 3:

You saw her Googling your address?

01:46:57 - 01:47:05 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. My home address was up there, and I was kind of freaked out, turned off by it.

01:47:06 - 01:47:11 | Speaker 3:

She was Googling while you guys were there, or she Googled earlier, and you saw that she was looking for your address?

01:47:12 - 01:47:22 | Speaker 6:

No, it was while I was there, I guess. I don't know when she was doing it. You know, like I said, we were a little busy beforehand, before I noticed it.

01:47:22 - 01:47:25 | Speaker 2:

Caitlin, you're supposed to run a background check before the date, not on the date.

01:47:27 - 01:47:38 | Speaker 5:

I don't know why you were looking at my laptop. I mean, that's like my private property. Like, why would you...

01:47:38 - 01:47:43 | Speaker 2:

Was it open in the room you guys were in, or did he have to snoop for that?

01:47:43 - 01:47:56 | Speaker 6:

no i didn't i don't like i didn't i didn't i didn't i didn't hack your password like i didn't it was it was open it was up it was on the screen when i walked by i was like walking by and i'm

01:47:56 - 01:48:09 | Speaker 1:

like wait that's my handle yeah but it's pretty common to google somebody when you're going out on a first date with them and addresses pop up like i i don't see why this is such a big deal because it's so common.

01:48:11 - 01:48:19 | Speaker 6:

Honestly, I don't think it's very common at all. Like, I don't know. I guarantee every girl who has ever gone on a date with you

01:48:19 - 01:48:22 | Speaker 1:

has Googled and stalked your social media presence for sure.

01:48:22 - 01:48:25 | Speaker 3:

But why is she Googling, though, while he's there with her?

01:48:26 - 01:48:34 | Speaker 1:

Maybe he said something fishy and she wanted to make sure he didn't have an arrest record. How do we know that he was perfect on this date? Maybe he was the weird one.

01:48:34 - 01:48:36 | Speaker 3:

Caitlin, why were you doing it then? Is that the reason?

01:48:37 - 01:49:13 | Speaker 5:

I wasn't doing it then, actually. And this is the thing. I mean, we were in my bedroom, and it was dark. I'm trying to remember what my laptop looked like, but definitely it was asleep. He had to have touched it, and I just don't understand why you would touch my things. It just feels like you're invading my privacy a little bit. I don't need to defend myself about any of this. You shouldn't have touched my things. I feel so weird right now.

01:49:14 - 01:49:22 | Speaker 3:

Let me grab some calls here from listeners that want to comment on the second date update, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Nicole?

01:49:23 - 01:49:23 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Mojo.

01:49:24 - 01:49:25 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what did you want to say, second date update?

01:49:26 - 01:49:44 | Speaker 4:

If I was doing something like that, if I was doing a deep dive on a guy, I would make sure there was no evidence in the room when he was there. I mean, that's just kind of creepy. If I saw a guy Googling my address, I would be weirded out. Even if I would do it just to, like, see what he was doing, he would not find out about it.

01:49:45 - 01:49:50 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so he's got to be a little, you know, or she's got to be a little better at hiding this stuff.

01:49:51 - 01:49:52 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, definitely.

01:49:52 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 2:

What if this was the other way around, and she saw his laptop, and his laptop was open, and he was Googling stuff on her? He'd be a stalker.

01:49:59 - 01:50:00 | Speaker 4:

No, I...

01:50:00 - 01:50:16 | Speaker 6:

truly think it's a new normal like everybody is doing this i think social media i don't know about google who's who's the stalker he or she because who's is the stalker the person that's doing a background check or is the stalker the person that's looking at the equipment while they're

01:50:16 - 01:50:34 | Speaker 3:

in the house i think he's in the wrong for snooping lisa comment from you hey i'm just saying every pretty much every girl we look up everything we can about you and then we send it to our best friend because we don't know you we're gonna go meet you out we're gonna find everything we can about you and be like, look, this is who I'm going to go see, and if something happens, this is who I was with.

01:50:35 - 01:50:36 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the morning, Andy?

01:50:38 - 01:50:43 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I feel like she's actually gaslighting him right now a little bit.

01:50:43 - 01:50:44 | Speaker 6:

You think she put it out there intentionally?

01:50:46 - 01:51:00 | Speaker 1:

No, it's just kind of weird, like, that he's letting her know, like, hey, I saw you looking at my address. I'm weirded out by that, and her only response is, oh, like, you touched my thing. Like, not giving the reason why she was actually looking up his information.

01:51:01 - 01:51:08 | Speaker 6:

Or is the reason why so obvious that she was just checking his address out. Thanks for the call. Jen, comment?

01:51:10 - 01:51:21 | Speaker 4:

Kind of like the last comment. Seriously, though, you're concerned about him touching your private thing, but his thing was just in your private... Yes.

01:51:22 - 01:51:38 | Speaker 6:

Very good point there, Jen. We can end on that, Jen, Because I think that says it all right there It really does I'm assuming that maybe Caitlin, you don't want another date with Tommy Or would you want me to ask him If he wants another date

01:51:38 - 01:51:48 | Speaker 5:

I mean Honestly, I feel a little Uncomfortable now I don't know if I trust him the same way As I did before

01:51:48 - 01:51:53 | Speaker 6:

So is it uncomfortable because he was snooping Or uncomfortable because you got caught

01:51:53 - 01:52:04 | Speaker 4:

This is why you don't sleep with people On the first date People can do what they want. They can, but I'm just saying, lesson learned in her case.

01:52:04 - 01:52:28 | Speaker 6:

Second date update on Mojo in the Morning. I hate the cold almost as much as the person who sneezed on me and got me sick. This is Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Shannon is off today. She's not feeling well, so she took the morning off. Megan is feeling fine, and she's looking fine. She's got your Dirty on the 30. What's going on?

01:52:29 - 01:52:57 | Speaker 2:

Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis, are they getting back together? Did they ever break up in the first place? Well, they were caught by paparazzi on Friday. They were hugging in L.A., which can mean one of two things. One, they share two kids together and they're friends. Or two, they're back together. I will say that I did see that the company that was caught taking their pictures, notorious for celebs calling the paparazzi on themselves. Oh, really?

01:52:58 - 01:52:58 | Speaker 6:

So they were...

01:52:58 - 01:53:00 | Speaker 2:

Do that with what you will. Do it with what you will.

01:53:00 - 01:53:04 | Speaker 6:

There's a service that does that?

01:53:04 - 01:53:34 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Like the paparazzi service? There is one paparazzi service. You know how like when we pull images for our website, this is a little like, I'm pulling back the curtain. We have to use like Getty Images because those, you know, we have the rights to or whatever. There are different companies you can call that that will sell those images and one of them is notorious for paparazzi or for celebrities calling the paparazzis on themselves to get a story spread, and they used that company. Now, does that mean they called? No, not necessarily, but is the likelihood a little bit higher? I would say yes.

01:53:34 - 01:53:36 | Speaker 6:

Did Jason Sudeikis have his Ted Lasso mustache?

01:53:37 - 01:53:53 | Speaker 2:

He was rocking some serious gruff. They were in a parking lot smiling for a bit. They got back in their own cars. They went their own separate ways, but I just... A lot of people saying they're getting back together know that they called the paparazzis on themselves. so let's wait for the story to come out later this week, okay?

01:53:53 - 01:53:59 | Speaker 6:

If your boyfriend, Harry, gets back in and screwing this thing up again, he's a...

01:53:59 - 01:54:00 | Speaker 2:

Look, I want Harry to be happy.

01:54:01 - 01:54:01 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I want...

01:54:01 - 01:54:02 | Speaker 2:

Not with her.

01:54:02 - 01:54:03 | Speaker 6:

Chase it down.

01:54:05 - 01:55:00 | Speaker 2:

Todrick Hall just doesn't know how to stay out of the drama, and I love it. Okay, so The Real Friends of WeHo, by the way, this show, I'm so excited when they announced that only 20,000 people watched the original episode because to give you some behind-the-scenes drama here, we all know I'm a huge fan of RuPaul's Drag Race, right? Well, most episodes are an hour and a half, followed by a half-hour episode called Untucked, right? So you get two hours of programming. It's on MTV this year for the first time, and MTV decided to cut that hour-and-a-half segment down to an hour and then give Tadrick Hall and his friends a show called The Real Friends of WeHo. It's like a spinoff of The Real Housewives, right? But it follows these guys in West Hollywood. Well, a lot of fans are really upset that Drag Race was cut short, so they tried not to watch the show. The show only got 20,000 viewers, which is very, very, very low for Drag Race. It kind of proved a point the fans didn't want.

01:55:00 - 01:55:39 | Speaker 1:

this todrick hall is now like begging for attention to try to promote his show and actually if caitlin or tyler from mtv are listening and you have an insider at mtv i need their info because todrick hall is out here suggesting that ellen degeneres's workplace scandal may have been a factor in twitch taking his own life which is absolutely ridiculous um how about todrick maybe just for a thought here we don't speculate in the reasons why somebody would do that but the worst part is, like I said, he did all of this just to get on the paparazzi watch to get some publicity out for his new show on MTV. Todrick, pay your bills, pay your dancers, and stop trying to make the real friends of WeHo happen. Okay, thanks.

01:55:39 - 01:55:42 | Speaker 2:

Bye. I love when you get excited and you start clapping when you're talking. Sorry.

01:55:44 - 01:55:51 | Speaker 1:

Todrick Hall makes me so mad, and I am so angry he got this show, and they cut down Drag Race for it. And just shut up on other people's drama

01:55:51 - 01:55:55 | Speaker 2:

and stay out of it. I wish you would defend me like you defend anybody that's on Drag Race.

01:55:55 - 01:57:01 | Speaker 1:

I'm sorry, I just have a real passion for drag queens Thank you very much TikTok beauty influencer, Mikayla We need to talk about her today because she is under fire The girls are coming for her on TikTok After she posted a review of L'Oreal's telescopic lift mascara Now, she was out here claiming that this mascara changed her life And honestly, you know that's all like And you would do a two for a check She did it for the check, alright She did this advertisement for the check But it was so obvious near the end that she did put on some false lashes and it wasn't the mascara itself but obviously false lashes this was the biggest scandal i have seen drop on tiktok in a very very long time and i was living for it even jeffree star who i think we could all agree we hate came back to the social media platform to give his review on it saying you know it's okay it's not the greatest youtuber rob beauty christie also shared a tiktok saying i think it's our responsibility and our duty as influence to keep our authenticity it's what we have but the girls are fighting and a true be Kayla fashion. We will not get a TikTok from her for four more days, and then she'll give us a crying apology. We'll move on, and it's not that big of a deal, but I still love it. Okay.

01:57:03 - 01:57:04 | Speaker 2:

She's snapping and clapping.

01:57:05 - 01:57:11 | Speaker 1:

I lived for it. Literally, my entire For You page this entire weekend was mascara and gay. I loved it.

01:57:11 - 01:57:19 | Speaker 2:

I loved it. Do you have any Kardashians or Super Bowl or anything in this dirty? What else you got?

01:57:20 - 01:57:29 | Speaker 1:

Do you want to talk about ABC firing TJ Holmes and Amy Roback? Okay, let's go on to the next one. Do you want to talk about break-ins in Hollywood? Yes, yes, yes, yes.

01:57:29 - 01:57:30 | Speaker 2:

All right, break-ins in Hollywood.

01:57:30 - 01:57:53 | Speaker 1:

Before you get mad at me, we're going to say Skylar Astin from Pitch Perfect. All right, people know him. He is the newest victim of a comic crime in Hollywood. The vacation turned burglary. His house was burglarized once social media showed him on vacation. He actually got a notification from his security system. He sent a friend to check it out. The damage had been done. So far, no arrests on that one. But he's not the only person

01:57:53 - 01:57:54 | Speaker 2:

And again, who is this?

01:57:54 - 01:57:58 | Speaker 1:

That was Skylar Ashton from Pitch Perfect But he's not the only one

01:57:58 - 01:58:06 | Speaker 2:

Did he tell the cops when he called This is Skylar Ashton from Pitch Perfect Shut up Send me your IMDB

01:58:06 - 01:58:10 | Speaker 1:

I'm using it to get into Drake's house Oh, Drake's house

01:58:10 - 01:58:18 | Speaker 2:

Why would you not get into that stuff right away? Drake's house got burglarized? I'm breathing exercises Don't get mad

01:58:18 - 01:58:29 | Speaker 1:

So Drake was not home last week either This turned out to be a good thing His L.A. mansion was broken into Security noticed a man that they were unfamiliar with Leaving the mansion

01:58:29 - 01:58:30 | Speaker 2:

Oh, it was Ashley from Pitch Perfect

01:58:30 - 01:58:32 | Speaker 1:

First of all, I hate you

01:58:32 - 01:58:38 | Speaker 2:

If they were unfamiliar with him Drake's like, I don't know you I'm calling the cops on you

01:58:38 - 01:58:59 | Speaker 1:

I truly hate you Okay, so after searching for a few hours The police met up with a man who met the description of the burglary Found out that he did have one item From Drake's house on his person This is actually the second time that Drake's house has been broken into, which, by the way, Drake bought this house for $75 million, so you would think it would have a little bit better security.

01:58:59 - 01:59:11 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. The problem is in L.A. that the homes are right up on the streets, even though they're huge. You just hop one shrubbery and you're in. Yeah, but I live in Hudsonville, Michigan, and I have, like, six nice scams. Like, nobody's breaking into my house.

01:59:12 - 01:59:17 | Speaker 1:

01:59:40 - 02:00:40 | Speaker 2:

Your call may be monitored or recorded. So just five more qualifiers left, and you are the fifth. Kim, you're a winner. Congratulations. Oh my God, thank you. You got $250 from Kroger and you're qualified now for $10,000 in our... kroger grocery grab that we're giving away oh my god it's amazing and we got some exciting news for you did you hear about kroger delivery have you heard us talk about that yeah i heard you talking about it earlier so people you know have been hearing us talk about this and people are probably thinking to themselves oh you know i know that there are you know services and stuff like that instacart no we're talking delivered right from kroger and we got to experience this this morning because Travis and the delivery team from Kroger has just arrived with our owner. What's happening, Travis? Hey, how's it going, Mojo? Is the big blue truck out in front of the radio studios here, out in front of the iHeard building? Yes, it is.

02:00:40 - 02:00:46 | Speaker 1:

I know usually they don't invite you in the home when you deliver, but we said come up here, hang out with us a little bit. I do. It's a pleasure.

02:00:47 - 02:01:34 | Speaker 2:

I invite, I actually, you know what's funny? I will say this to you, Travis, you come to my house, you're coming in, and I'm going to give you a cocktail. Although, So you've got to do it off hours. Okay, off hours. I'll pass on that. Listen, I actually love this. I love that it's refrigerated trucks, right? So all the stuff that we order. So did you get my cottage cheese? Is my cottage cheese in there? Yeah, everything you ordered is here. I love it. Hold on. Here's what we got. Everybody got to throw items in there, and we said to Kroger, we're going to try to stump Travis. Smartwater, Ritz crackers, Cheez-It, Slim Jims. By the way, this is all the stuff that we wanted to have around the building. Cutlery. You know how we're always looking for, like, forks, knives, things like that?

02:01:34 - 02:01:36 | Speaker 1:

That's a fancy word for us. Cutlery.

02:01:37 - 02:01:41 | Speaker 2:

Plates, bowls, Oreos. Who asked for the Oreos?

02:01:41 - 02:01:58 | Speaker 1:

Right here. That's Mike. I asked for the K-Cups, the Keurig K-Cups, because when I go and shop myself, Kroger has all the good ones next to the other ones, and then I end up buying all the ones I don't need and I didn't go for. So now with delivery, I'm saving money. Do you see what Travis brought you?

02:01:58 - 02:02:03 | Speaker 2:

He brought you Donut Shop, Cinnabon, and Starbucks Toasted Graham.

02:02:03 - 02:02:03 | Speaker 1:

Perfect.

02:02:04 - 02:02:24 | Speaker 2:

You got everything. Thank you. Plus a ton of LaCroix because we all go crazy. Mike got us nuts on LaCroix. You ever try a LaCroix? No, I never tried it before. Let's open one up. We got to get you one. There's one in front of you. There's one right there. Yeah, there we go. Crack that thing open right in the air Take a sip of that thing and see what you think. It's my favorite kind of. You'll like it. Yeah, try that.

02:02:25 - 02:02:29 | Speaker 3:

That is delicious. Mm. You should have told me about this sooner.

02:02:31 - 02:02:38 | Speaker 1:

This is why Mojo can't be Kroger delivery, because if he were the driver, he'd probably be cracking them open on the drive. Oh, yeah, you can't do that, Mojo.

02:02:38 - 02:03:22 | Speaker 2:

Travis, I got a question to ask you, because some listeners have said to us, I don't understand this whole Kroger delivery thing. They've been delivering now, you know, through all these services and stuff. It's coming direct from Kroger, right? Yes, from the Fulfillment Center. So if I order, and a listener actually was the one that spotted this, and I thought it was really smart because there is nothing worse. And I don't know if Kroger will be mad at me for saying this, but they probably would be fine with us promoting Kroger delivery alone. I hate when I have done in the past Instacart, and I've got to go back and look if they want me to pick another item. I don't want to pick another item. I want the item that I want. And I love the fact that you guys are the, you know, the fulfillment center has virtually everything, right?

02:03:22 - 02:03:39 | Speaker 3:

Yes. And sometimes we don't have an item. You can get a substituted item if you don't have the certain item that you wanted. But if you don't want no substitutes, what you can do, you can reject the item in the morning on your on a delivery app. And then we won't give you the item and you won't be charged for it.

02:03:39 - 02:03:56 | Speaker 2:

I love it. Do me a favor. Don't get some of the healthy stuff my wife wants. If I can I can I send you a note? Like, if you come to my house, can I send you a note? Brussels sprouts and, you know, all the vegetables. Like, Luke and I just get tired of Chelsea making us eat spinach.

02:03:56 - 02:03:59 | Speaker 3:

Well, you know, it's good to eat healthy, though, Mojo. Come on.

02:04:01 - 02:04:03 | Speaker 1:

Sounds like his wife got to you, Mojo.

02:04:04 - 02:04:16 | Speaker 2:

And you know, happy wife, happy Kroger delivery guy, right? Yeah, there you go, that part. I love it. But question for you. Kroger treats you right. They pay you well. They take care of you?

02:04:16 - 02:04:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, very, yeah, very good. Kroger's very good. You know, they just launched it in Michigan and everything, and the communication is great at Kroger. Employees is great. It's a very diverse atmosphere, and the customers, they make everything just superb. Are people tipping? Are people giving tips and stuff? Well, no, we can't accept tips. You can't accept tips? No, we cannot, no.

02:04:34 - 02:04:36 | Speaker 1:

All right, give me that LaCroix back.

02:04:38 - 02:04:46 | Speaker 3:

No, we can't accept tips, but what you can do, you can give us a good review online if you enjoyed your customer service. when we came to your home to deliver your products to you.

02:04:46 - 02:04:50 | Speaker 2:

What does that get for you? Do you get a little pat on the back or something at work?

02:04:50 - 02:05:00 | Speaker 3:

Well, they do different things. We have something called a purge where we can get free food. We get free food. I'm writing them a nice review. Yeah, we have to. In the morning they have, you know.

02:05:00 - 02:05:04 | Speaker 1:

So breakfast food sitting out for us when we come in. We can get coffee, bananas, donuts, cupcakes. You guys hire him?

02:05:05 - 02:05:22 | Speaker 2:

Anybody want to go work there? Yes, we are. What time do you start this job at? We wake up at 3.30. Okay, I'll start at 4 a.m. Oh, well, the hours are maybe. All right. Man, I love this. This is fantastic. Thank you for coming in, and thank you for bringing that blue truck that we talk about so often on the show.

02:05:22 - 02:05:24 | Speaker 1:

Okay, you're welcome. We got your food, too.

02:05:24 - 02:05:30 | Speaker 2:

All right, we're going to eat. Let's have some fun. Spike, we're going to mix up a little, what are you having today? Donut chop, cinnabon.

02:05:30 - 02:05:36 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, well, I do two different K-Cups. I make my own little custom flavor. I'm like a bartender. Are you really?

02:05:36 - 02:05:39 | Speaker 2:

So you have to, no wonder why you're out of the studio for the time.

02:05:39 - 02:05:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I've got three different K-Cups going on.

02:05:42 - 02:05:48 | Speaker 1:

Travis, you want to say hi to anybody? I'll just say hi to everybody and every Kroger customer and every Tune to be Kroger customer.

02:05:48 - 02:05:49 | Speaker 2:

I love it.

02:05:49 - 02:05:49 | Speaker 1:

I want to say hi to all of them.

02:05:49 - 02:06:38 | Speaker 2:

Check out the Kroger app, download it to your phone, or go to kroger.com for details. mojo in the morning show hello to everyone that is now officially waking up after they went to the big show last night starring uh future and that uh by the way is a big show knowing that A couple members from our radio program went to it, and they're still awake at this time. Did KP, did you spend the night here at the studios, or did you go home and then come back?

02:06:38 - 02:06:43 | Speaker 5:

No, I was going to spend the night, but I brought my friend, so I had to drop her back home first. I didn't want to make her stay here either.

02:06:43 - 02:06:59 | Speaker 2:

I was thinking to myself when I saw your social, which, by the way, you and your friend, you guys look like models on your Instagram and taking the bathroom. What bathroom was that? That looked like too clean of a bathroom for Little Caesars Arena.

02:07:00 - 02:07:19 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that was the one that was the behind-the-stage bathroom. Yeah, it was just people for Jingle Ball. I saw that, and I was like, that's what we took our Jingle Ball back for. God, this is such a good one. Because it doesn't really look like a bathroom that much. I mean, Mojo knows what it is. But not everyone would know it was a bathroom. Although it was awkward when salespeople would walk in and we were taking pictures. Because that's super weird.

02:07:19 - 02:07:51 | Speaker 2:

When I see girls taking bathroom selfies and they're at a venue like a Little Caesars Arena, Although Little Cesarina is much cleaner than the Joe was The Joe, if you were a girl You couldn't take a bathroom selfie Because the mirrors were broken There was nowhere to actually take it Inside of the bathroom But you went to the show And why is it that you seem a little more tired Than Reese does Reese, you seem like you're alert How did you go to a concert Like the big show last night But then today you look like you didn't even go to the concert

02:07:51 - 02:08:47 | Speaker 4:

I stayed for approximately A song and a half i'm not gonna lie really maybe even two songs i'm not too sure wait you went to the concert but you only stay for two songs yeah it was a quick stay what did you do this a lot or is this a just something that you did last night kind of all the time i'm not gonna lie it was it was kind of my fun activity for the weekend so i was like oh you know you go to a concert wait hold on you go to a concert and you don't go for the whole concert you go for how long you see my friend had a soccer game before so he was gonna meet me up after so it was already a process to begin with but i was still gonna go so i waited by the doors for him he came in we we we enjoyed approximately two songs and we bounced who did you hear who did you see then oh we saw future uh couldn't even tell you what the songs were are you a fan of future i am a fan but i'm not like a stan you know

02:08:47 - 02:08:51 | Speaker 3:

But you probably spent more time parking than you did inside the arena.

02:08:52 - 02:08:54 | Speaker 4:

I sure did. That's not a lie.

02:08:54 - 02:08:58 | Speaker 5:

Reese, you're that person that goes for pictures and then leaves to just show that you were there.

02:08:58 - 02:09:07 | Speaker 4:

Coming from Mrs., she had, like, 16 pictures on her feet right now. No, no, no. They sent him more. And I'm pretty sure she edited every single one of those pictures.

02:09:08 - 02:09:13 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I did. She was making fun of Shannon last week for all those Paris photos that she posted.

02:09:13 - 02:09:23 | Speaker 5:

No, you were making fun of Shannon for those Paris photos. You brought it up in your Diamonds director. commercial the call is coming from inside the house all right so let's go back to reese i want

02:09:23 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 2:

to go back to this because this is interesting do any other listeners do this what's the quickest you were ever at something because i always find it funny like somebody uh called chelsea and said hey do you guys want to come to our super bowl party i hate going to super bowl parties and so chelsea's like we should go to the super bowl party they're really nice people they've come to our party they actually came to my um not hall not winning the hall of fame party um and they were really nice to be there so she's like we got to go and i said well can we go stay for like i don't know like 30 minutes and then go home and she goes yeah we can pop in and then we can you know go home and watch the game at home i thought it'd be rude but reese

02:10:00 - 02:10:03 | Speaker 4:

You got to teach me how to do this. How do you go to something and then leave right away?

02:10:03 - 02:10:08 | Speaker 5:

It's a skill, honestly. It takes a lot of skill. It takes a lot of work, but, you know.

02:10:08 - 02:10:19 | Speaker 4:

That's amazing. I did it. And you didn't pay for the tickets, right? You got them for free, their kind of tickets? I did not pay for them, yeah. I got them for free. Because if I paid for a concert, I'm going, you know, and at least watching some of the songs I like.

02:10:20 - 02:10:28 | Speaker 5:

You see, I feel like if I did pay for them, I would have stayed. I would have made more of a point to actually stay, but I feel like since I didn't, maybe that's kind of why, too.

02:10:28 - 02:10:36 | Speaker 4:

I leave early all the time Spike makes fun of me all the time because he's like Why do you leave so early? I'm like, I don't want to be stuck in that parking garage

02:10:36 - 02:10:38 | Speaker 1:

That's it, dude

02:10:38 - 02:10:48 | Speaker 6:

Well, I got it timed out too I always check the set list for the last song And as soon as that last song starts I sprint to the parking lot So I hear the last song while I'm running in the arena concourse

02:10:48 - 02:10:50 | Speaker 4:

Do you hate when you're in the middle of the row?

02:10:51 - 02:11:01 | Speaker 6:

Well, what I hate is that It's always one of the best songs you've been waiting for Because that's what they want to end on The biggest, most popular song And I'm like, oh, sorry and everybody I'm with is always like, but this is the song we came for.

02:11:01 - 02:11:14 | Speaker 2:

That's so funny. At Jingle Ball, I didn't even realize the science of how you had that planned out. Yeah. Because I rode with Spike there, and he's like, all right, dude, I got your coat. We're going to leave right here at this time. And we left at the perfect time. I don't know if you had this. Oh, yeah. Exact time.

02:11:14 - 02:11:17 | Speaker 6:

I checked with Backstreet Boys. I said, I need to know what the last song is.

02:11:17 - 02:11:26 | Speaker 2:

You always look up the set list online. I'm not going to lie, though. The first time I saw 21 Pilots when they came to Little Caesars Arena, it was their first show of the tour, and it was the first time I was like,

02:11:26 - 02:11:29 | Speaker 5:

I don't know when I can leave. I don't know when the last song is.

02:11:29 - 02:11:30 | Speaker 2:

When do I get out of here?

02:11:30 - 02:11:32 | Speaker 4:

You know what's funny about Reese, though?

02:11:32 - 02:11:33 | Speaker 5:

What's funny?

02:11:33 - 02:11:34 | Speaker 4:

You said you had a drink at the show.

02:11:35 - 02:11:36 | Speaker 5:

I did have a drink.

02:11:36 - 02:11:40 | Speaker 6:

Whoa. Oh, my gosh. You were probably in line to get the drink longer than you were at the concert.

02:11:40 - 02:12:06 | Speaker 5:

That was the most exciting thing of the night for me, honestly. Why? I'll tell you why. I basically got this drink, and I don't have my license right now because it's expired, so I'm using my passport. My passport picture looks like Justin Bieber's mug shot. And that is a fact. Like, I got the ears pierced and everything. Like, it's a little acne. Can you show? Do you have it with you? I unfortunately do. Oh, yeah.

02:12:07 - 02:12:10 | Speaker 6:

We got a screenshot that one.

02:12:10 - 02:12:17 | Speaker 4:

How funny is it that Reese goes to see a concert last night, stays for two songs, but gets a drink?

02:12:18 - 02:12:25 | Speaker 6:

Well, he's got his passport. He had to fly in for the concert. I just gave it to Spike. Oh, my gosh. You look like that. You stole Justin Bieber's passport.

02:12:25 - 02:12:32 | Speaker 5:

I'm telling you, I got acne, I got ears pierced I got the whole shebang going on Here, throw it up Oh my god

02:12:32 - 02:12:35 | Speaker 4:

It looks like literally Little Justin Bieber

02:12:35 - 02:12:45 | Speaker 3:

And the look on your face Yeah, which Bieber song is that? What era of Bieber is that? That was the beginning era, I think Egg in the house? Baby, baby

02:12:45 - 02:12:52 | Speaker 2:

Can I ask a question about your Are you under the influence so you wouldn't look under the influence When you went under the influence through checkpoints?

02:12:53 - 02:13:00 | Speaker 5:

I think I was like 18 in that picture I only got that so I could go to Cancun for my senior year spring break. That's just sass. That's just sass you've seen. I was just doing what I had to do.

02:13:00 - 02:13:02 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Bubba, what's going on?

02:13:03 - 02:13:04 | Speaker 1:

Good. How are you guys doing?

02:13:04 - 02:13:09 | Speaker 4:

Good. Bubba, what do you think about this? Reese went to the big show last night but stayed only for two songs.

02:13:11 - 02:13:22 | Speaker 1:

Well, I always have one rule for myself. If I go somewhere, I'm kind of like Mojo. I don't like to go to parties. But if I do, I bring my own car so I can leave whenever I want.

02:13:22 - 02:13:25 | Speaker 4:

Amen. Man, I hate being trapped at a flight party.

02:13:25 - 02:13:26 | Speaker 1:

Just so if I go, I don't get trapped being there.

02:13:26 - 02:13:31 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and I'd never park in their driveway and have somebody block me in. Exactly.

02:13:32 - 02:13:33 | Speaker 1:

I park down the road.

02:13:33 - 02:13:43 | Speaker 4:

Yep, and I always make sure. That's the only time I ever actually park far from anything is when I want to do the Irish goodbye like you guys call it, or I call it a Batman, pulling a Batman.

02:13:43 - 02:13:48 | Speaker 1:

A Batman. And then sometimes when I want to leave, I find the back door and walk out and not say bye.

02:13:48 - 02:14:02 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. One time I actually thought I was walking out the back door, and I actually walked into their laundry room. That was a bad one A Batman Megan because they used to always say Where did that masked man go They always would do that in the Batman You know cartoons

02:14:02 - 02:14:03 | Speaker 3:

Is that the Adam West one?

02:14:04 - 02:14:05 | Speaker 4:

The Adam West one

02:14:05 - 02:14:11 | Speaker 3:

That was the Batman for you

02:14:11 - 02:14:14 | Speaker 4:

By the way that was actually a future song That he did last night that Reese missed

02:14:14 - 02:14:19 | Speaker 1:

Early in the morning later at night It don't even matter what time it is

02:14:19 - 02:14:40 | Speaker 5:

i love he left yeah it was it was a short stay i gotta say it was a short stay i was literally trying to find you too she was but you looked at the exit this is what kp said she says i'm in the pit like i'm gonna walk in this the middle of this giant pit to find her like yeah it just that

02:14:40 - 02:14:44 | Speaker 2:

without a pass like you can't just walk up there well right two entrances you could have found it

02:14:44 - 02:14:53 | Speaker 4:

plus to be honest with you if he goes into the pit it's gonna take him that much longer he'll actually have to go through four songs yeah and i don't got time for that everybody's gonna be

02:14:53 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 6:

stopping him for selfies with justin bieber in the next 15 minutes you'll hear about this

02:15:00 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 1:

on Mojo in the Morning.

02:15:00 - 02:15:13 | Speaker 2:

When we come back here next on the Mojo in the Morning show, does that make them a bad parent? Megan's going to ask that question. And we got the dirty, a phone scam, and another chance for you to go see Taylor Swift coming up.

02:15:14 - 02:15:25 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning on iHeartRadio. iHeartRadio! Everybody wake up. Mojo in the Morning. We were always just minutes away from proving how stupid morning radio can be.

02:15:30 - 02:17:23 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning. Do you guys know what the number one song in the country is right now? Flowers. The Burger Cane song. In our little countdown that we do. Spike, any guesses on the number one song in the country? Yes. I am going to say Miley Cyrus. Well, I'm going to tell you guys the top requested songs in all three of our stations, all three of our cities, Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Toledo. And the one that was most requested is the number one song in the country. Ryan Seacrest, you'll be counting this down. Our third most requested song. Is Taylor Swift. We've got tickets, by the way, coming up here in just a little bit. Our second most requested song. Kill Bill from SZA. The number one album in the country, by the way. By the way, I can't believe there's no controversy to this song at all. Like that people aren't upset with her basically talking about killing.

02:17:24 - 02:17:24 | Speaker 1:

It's Kill Bill.

02:17:25 - 02:17:25 | Speaker 2:

I know.

02:17:25 - 02:17:26 | Speaker 1:

Have you seen the movie?

02:17:26 - 02:17:31 | Speaker 2:

I think it's a movie, yeah. But she's still, she's killing people, and killing is not good.

02:17:31 - 02:17:33 | Speaker 1:

Then don't watch a Tarantino film.

02:17:34 - 02:18:06 | Speaker 2:

And the number one song in the country, Megan, is also our most requested. Miley Cyrus. I can't believe there's not controversy to this song, too. Actually, have you seen the videos that are out there of celebrities that are dancing to the song? And one of them was, what's the real, Diane Keaton, the older actor.

02:18:06 - 02:18:08 | Speaker 1:

Oh, hey, hey, hey, throw some respect on it.

02:18:09 - 02:18:27 | Speaker 2:

Diane Keaton was doing the dance into it, and it went viral. And actually, I think, you know, what's funny is when somebody like Diane Keaton gets on TikTok, It makes an impact Because everybody's like why But then she does one of those videos And then she gets a ton of views

02:18:27 - 02:18:31 | Speaker 1:

She was also in Ash's music video And Justin Bieber's Diane Keaton is cool She's hip

02:18:31 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 2:

Here's the thing If I were to ever cast a movie And the movie was going to have Me and you know About my life Diane Keaton would be my mom She looks nothing and sounds nothing like my mom, but I just want her to be my mom. And then I would have Jack Nicholson be my dad, which my dad didn't look like him and didn't sound like him. Although it'd be kind of cool if I did somebody like, maybe, what's the, what was the, give me a Latin older actor. Antonio Banderas. Antonio Banderas would be my dad. Oh, perfect. So I'd have him as my dad. And then Aunt Pat would be played by, who is it that you guys say Aunt Pat always sounds like whenever she calls in? And Shannon always says, it sounds like the lady from... From The Office, who played the sad... Phyllis? Yeah. Phyllis. That would be Pat. But don't tell Pat I said that, because she'll be mad at me for saying that. Pat, I should show you Pat, by the way. Pat's looking hot. Pat actually has been losing weight. Good for Pat. Yeah, she's gearing up. My niece is getting married. So my niece, Madeline, who is Pat's goddaughter, is getting married. And so Pat is trying to lose weight, because she knows that there's going to be a lot of lot of pictures that are gonna be taken i don't think she looks like her i think she sounds like her yeah she kind of has like a little bit of sound she actually has lost like 60 pounds in the last couple of uh couple of months um all right before we end the show today i want to tease this actually i think we could

02:20:00 - 02:20:52 | Speaker 4:

probably do it as a topic because it's such a big thing and I probably should have put it on here. I was going to do it in trending news. Did you guys hear what the Surgeon General said about kids on social media? This was like a big story over the weekend. The Surgeon General is trying to say that the online, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, the different social platforms need to keep kids off social media and it's a detriment to their health so before we leave we'll talk about that and get into it uh and get into a discussion about it and wait till you hear what he believes that should be the age requirement for being on on social media um that will happen within like the next hour mojo on the morning show megan wants to know if you're a bad parent

02:20:52 - 02:22:07 | Speaker 1:

if you do this and what is it so i was talking with my brother over the weekend and before we get into this i want to make it very clear he and i are not parents but we were discussing about like if we were what kind of parents we would be and i don't know how we got onto the subject it's kind of like a weird in-depth conversation for two people who don't want to have kids but uh it kind of turned into the whole underage drinking thing and while i do not condone underage drinking i i think we can acknowledge it happens and we were talking about how there was always that one house we could go to where the parents knew what we were doing but essentially created a safe space for us so there was a house we could go to that we knew that if we were done in the basement we weren't allowed to go anywhere but nobody was going to be mad at us and we both kind of agreed that we would want to be those parents and immediately we started talking about but I remember when we were younger like it was like parents v parents parents v parents of what was good behavior and what was bad behavior and and the ones that knew their kids were drinking were always the bad parents but looking back at it now we both felt like those were the good parents because they were the ones protecting us and then i was like are we the bad would we be the bad parents so it's

02:22:07 - 02:22:46 | Speaker 4:

interesting so we have uh luke going away to college next year it's hard to believe our baby is going to be going away to college and so in the last few months we've been more hey uh luke what's going on nothing much and like chelsea and i are having a drink and we've let luke drink but only if he's like there with us at the house and i don't like doing it but chelsea's like he's going to go away to college and if he doesn't get an opportunity to see what it's like to have a drink or see feel what it's like to have a drink he is going to go away to college and he is going to turn into a wild man like he's going to be that kid that ends up going crazy i do remember the

02:22:46 - 02:23:02 | Speaker 2:

the kids that were in the most protective households that were really sheltered were the ones that went crazy wild and binged and got in the most trouble when they finally had that freedom. And that was back when I was in college. I can only imagine now where kids are exposed to so much more at such a younger age. See, I will say this, though.

02:23:02 - 02:23:32 | Speaker 4:

I didn't drink when I was in school growing up like I would in high school. We're talking high school, not so much college. And, I mean, I went to a commuter college, so I went to one of the schools close. but i didn't turn into like some like party crazed person i think that we drank not at a house like it was okay we drank at a house when it wasn't okay but we were smart enough to know that we shouldn't be getting in a car and driving and doing all that stuff i just think you know i'll

02:23:32 - 02:23:53 | Speaker 2:

tell you the big difference in what megan's talking about though letting your own kid drink and letting all the kids drink yeah like that that was a big stickler for me when the kids were growing up that i i don't i don't care how uncool i am i'm never letting other people's kids drink in our house because that's just what if i wouldn't want them to let my kids drink without

02:23:53 - 02:23:58 | Speaker 4:

talking to me what if the parents though uh were okay with it if you got their permission would

02:23:58 - 02:24:06 | Speaker 2:

you do that well i still wouldn't because i didn't want to be a it to be a liability i was worried about a lawsuit i was worried about health and anybody getting in trouble so i wasn't going to

02:24:06 - 02:24:21 | Speaker 1:

let it happen regardless i would be way more concerned about having those kids in my house Than in a college house Or in a bar somewhere Like I would much rather have you Under my roof where I can make sure You stay here Taking their keys away type thing

02:24:21 - 02:24:33 | Speaker 3:

My parents did that one time And it was my open house My graduation party that was it It was the only time they ever let me And they had to talk to everybody's parents And even then after that They said you're not doing that again That was it

02:24:33 - 02:24:40 | Speaker 2:

They did it the right way And talking to all the parents first Let them know what's going to happen When Luke drank with us I said, so what do you think?

02:24:40 - 02:24:52 | Speaker 4:

And he goes, this is really not fun. But he wasn't even talking. It was not the alcohol. It was being with his parents. It was not fun. Jen, what's going on?

02:24:54 - 02:25:00 | Speaker 1:

So my kids don't want to drink or smoke or anything, but I have that kind of open relationship with them. Like my daughter told me.

02:25:00 - 02:25:13 | Speaker 7:

me when she lost her virginity and she tells me all about it um and i think having that open relationship is how it has to be because then instead of getting advice from our friends and all that trash like i can tell her things and right completely she tells me everything right

02:25:13 - 02:25:22 | Speaker 1:

i think it's a way better way to go it's powerful you don't want them to hide all their mistakes you want them to let them know everybody makes mistakes it's how you handle it to keep yourself

02:25:22 - 02:25:38 | Speaker 7:

safe yeah she thought she was pregnant and like i'm like okay well let's handle this let's talk about it and so we have like this very open communication with whatever you want to do that's fine just tell me about it let's talk about it and like furthermore i let my son play video games and now he's sick of it he don't even want to no more because i've let him for so long

02:25:38 - 02:25:42 | Speaker 2:

really you know by the way i do the right thing i realize jen how you get your kid to stop playing

02:25:42 - 02:26:13 | Speaker 8:

video games play with them what's up pam so i totally agree with megan um i didn't condone that the kids would drink, but I was smart, and I just would tell them they knew when they came into our house, they'd give me my keys, their keys, and I'd say, okay, I'm not allowing you guys to drink, but we need to be smart and to be safe, and even to this day, my son's like 30, and he'll call me and say, hey, can you come pick us up?

02:26:14 - 02:26:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's good that he's doing that, too, and that's good that you know that you guys have that relationship where he'll call you and not feel like you're going to punish him for the fact that he was drinking.

02:26:25 - 02:26:34 | Speaker 8:

But, yeah, so like I said, I didn't, like, I didn't eat donuts, but it was like I know what I was like at that age, so I want them to be safe.

02:26:34 - 02:26:36 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Savannah Banana.

02:26:37 - 02:27:21 | Speaker 5:

Hi. What's going on, Savannah? I had the same idea as Megan forever because I had a friend who their mom was like, if your mom's cool with it, you know, you guys can come over and drink. And I was like, awesome, awesome. but there had been times that you know kids were just dumb and i'm like oh do i want to be responsible for that so that's where now that i actually have kids i'm more like spikes thing like i would rather my kids be at home and have drinks with me or we go camping but i don't want to be responsible for other kids because like those kids would tell oh yeah we my parents said we could and really they weren't supposed to yeah megan it's like conflicting megan by the way when

02:27:21 - 02:27:23 | Speaker 2:

she is a mom, which will happen

02:27:23 - 02:27:26 | Speaker 3:

here. Don't you put that witchcraft on me.

02:27:28 - 02:27:34 | Speaker 2:

Megan's going to be doing Molly with her kids.

02:27:34 - 02:27:44 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. We were talking about that. My brother and I were talking about that. Would you drink or would you participate in other activities with your kids? I think I would.

02:27:44 - 02:27:52 | Speaker 2:

Do you know how weird it was when I went to the iHeartRadio Music Festival and my son Joe was getting Like stoned in front of me and stuff

02:27:52 - 02:28:02 | Speaker 3:

Can I tell you the one thing I want in my life more than anything is for my dad To retire and he does not have any Plans does not want to anytime soon But the day he retires you guys

02:28:02 - 02:28:04 | Speaker 1:

Know when there's no more drug tests

02:28:04 - 02:28:05 | Speaker 3:

Charcuterie boy to weed baby

02:28:05 - 02:28:12 | Speaker 2:

Star how are you you wanted to comment on

02:28:12 - 02:28:14 | Speaker 4:

This I'm good yeah how are you

02:28:14 - 02:28:15 | Speaker 2:

Good

02:28:15 - 02:28:47 | Speaker 4:

Yeah I was just saying my parents Were very knowledgeable all about you know all the drinking going on that we did me and my friends in high school um to where i had gone to a party once got way too drunk um and my friends were actually i think concerned and called my parents to come pick me up because they knew it wasn't going to be a big deal i feel like a lot of times kids would be scared to call you know parents to come pick up their kids because they'd be afraid to get in trouble and they would get in trouble so

02:28:47 - 02:29:11 | Speaker 1:

yeah i always made that clear always told my daughters you can never be scared to call me for any any ride home whether you're drunk or you just feel unsafe or you just want to get away from some people like i will never question you or you'll never get in trouble for your situation and where you are because you're making the smart choice to get a safe ride home now you know when they snuck alcohol from my bar and stuff that's a different story then you're getting in trouble

02:29:11 - 02:29:17 | Speaker 6:

because you drank the good stuff helena yes hi how are you guys doing this morning good

02:29:17 - 02:29:19 | Speaker 2:

What is it that your parents told you?

02:29:19 - 02:29:30 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. So I was going to bed my freshman year at, like, 530 at night, and my mom said, you need to go out and go to a party. Like, you cannot just be sitting at home going to sleep at 530.

02:29:31 - 02:29:35 | Speaker 2:

So she was encouraging you to go out because she was worried that you weren't socializing.

02:29:36 - 02:29:57 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Yeah. She said before I went off to college, never say no unless it's not going to be safe. If it's your friend saying, hey, come on out, let's go out, let's go to a party, and I had nothing better to do, go on out and socialize. It didn't mean I had to drink, but that just meant going out and experiencing all that college had to offer.

02:29:57 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 2:

But what if you want to just sit at home and...

02:30:00 - 02:30:18 | Speaker 4:

you know watch tv i mean that's that was a common thing though for me in college that like i just i'd rather stay inside and be the dd and have someone call me at 2 a.m saying come get me then go on out but i think my mom still wanted me to go out and socialize and spend time with people

02:30:18 - 02:30:57 | Speaker 2:

spike did your daughters go on their high school senior trip like to you know no they do these trips no the kids didn't seem to be as into it as we were as kids so my kids the joe and uh jacob did not go on it luke now they have one that's coming up and they're going to like some mexican island or mexican you know some place in mexico or whatever and um luke does not want to go and i was so happy about it because we have gone on that trip with friends of ours whose kids were seniors and it was really like awkward for me to see these kids and how much these kids will party

02:30:57 - 02:31:06 | Speaker 1:

and stuff and the parents party with them yeah the parents go off like they've let they're like they've never been let out of the house because the parents get sometimes crazier than the kids

02:31:06 - 02:31:29 | Speaker 2:

and i i have to be honest i you like i don't want to pass judgment on you know friends and stuff because they're parenting their their kids their way but i always felt like weird and i and honestly I was not going to stop Luke if that was the case, but I was definitely not going to party like crazy in front of him. I'll party with somebody else's kids, but I'm not partying with my kids. But I was so happy that he didn't want to do it. He didn't want to go on the thing.

02:31:29 - 02:31:42 | Speaker 1:

Natalie kind of planned her own, like, with her friends. They just had, like, ten friends, and they all planned a cruise with moms, and I think, like, seven moms and ten kids went. And then you knew they were – you can't get on a lot of trouble on the boat. There's not a lot of places to go.

02:31:42 - 02:31:48 | Speaker 2:

Did they go on, like, a Backstreet Boys cruise? You know how they do those

02:31:48 - 02:31:51 | Speaker 3:

theme cruises? Yeah, I want to go on the Drag Queen one very badly.

02:31:53 - 02:32:09 | Speaker 2:

Shannon's not here to say this because she's out sick today, but didn't she do Disney? That was her senior trip? They all went to Disney. It was the most fun thing. Got to drink out of Mickey's ears. Alright, Mojo in the Morning. We're just going to apologize now.

02:32:10 - 02:32:15 | Speaker 4:

We're sorry. Spike's old famous phone scam happens at 9.50 on Mojo in the Morning.

02:32:17 - 02:32:19 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:32:19 - 02:32:21 | Speaker 2:

Megan with the Dirty. What's going on, Megan?

02:32:21 - 02:32:58 | Speaker 3:

We are actually getting more information on what Lisa Marie Presley was going through before her passing. So, allegedly, she was on this very extreme weight loss regimen leading up to her death all because she wanted to look good for the press for the Elvis movie. Apparently, two months before the Golden Globes, Lisa Marie got plastic surgery and started weight loss medicine. She lost about 50 pounds in six weeks before the Golden Gloams. And rumor is she started taking opioids again, too, which is an addiction that she's struggled with for years. Her cause of death is still pending because the toxicology reports are not finished yet. So sad news coming out there.

02:32:59 - 02:33:03 | Speaker 2:

And this morning you told us the story that her mom is fighting her will.

02:33:03 - 02:33:29 | Speaker 3:

Yes, and it has to do with an amendment that was added in. Now, Lisa Marie's mother, Priscilla, was supposed to be the beneficiary of her trust along with a business manager. But now there's this new amendment that has come out that actually put her oldest daughter and her son as the inheritors of that trust. But it turns out there's some sketchy information there with some dates not adding up, signatures not looking authentic, names being misspelled.

02:33:29 - 02:33:44 | Speaker 2:

Do they think it's that ex-husband of hers that was the one that possibly was stealing or might have got? Anytime there's will changes and the person dies like right after the will changes, everybody always wants to contest the will.

02:33:44 - 02:34:01 | Speaker 3:

Okay, but here's the problem. This was done years ago because it still has her son as one of the beneficiaries and he took his own life in 2020. So this wasn't something that happened like a few weeks ago. This happened years ago. So Priscilla just wasn't notified of the change, which is why she doesn't think it's authentic, which is why it's going to court.

02:34:01 - 02:34:04 | Speaker 2:

I wonder if Priscilla needs money, and that's the reason why she's doing this.

02:34:04 - 02:34:05 | Speaker 3:

Do you think so?

02:34:05 - 02:34:08 | Speaker 2:

It'd be interesting to see if she's, like, broke or something. I don't know.

02:34:08 - 02:34:08 | Speaker 3:

It'd be sad.

02:34:08 - 02:34:11 | Speaker 2:

Because she didn't get Graceland. It was actually...

02:34:11 - 02:34:22 | Speaker 3:

No, that went to Lisa Marie, which now her daughters have. So authorities in Oregon are warning that a man suspected in the kidnapping and beating of a woman may be using dating apps to keep from being caught.

02:34:22 - 02:34:23 | Speaker 2:

Did you see what this guy looks like?

02:34:24 - 02:35:00 | Speaker 3:

He's, like, attractive. Yeah. It's like Ted Bundy, part 2023. Okay. Yeah. So the Grants Pass Police Department says that their 36-year-old, Benjamin Foster, remains on the runt, but appears to be active on these online dating sites. And a lot of people are saying, okay, why is he using these apps? And they're saying he's probably doing it to, A, lure women into helping him escape or potentially finding more victims. The search for Foster began early last week after a woman was found bound and beaten, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. There is a $2,500 reward being offered for information on where he is. Please say that he does.

02:35:00 - 02:35:04 | Speaker 4:

He does have a very long history of violence against women and should be considered extremely dangerous.

02:35:05 - 02:35:12 | Speaker 8:

He looks like Liam Hemsworth. Yeah, kind of. And I saw that picture of him. I'm thinking to myself, another bad thing for Liam Hemsworth.

02:35:12 - 02:35:26 | Speaker 4:

The police are very adamant, though. If you come across him on the dating app, do not set up a date and tell the police because they think that he then has enough information on you. Just notify the police he's in your area. Do not set up a date with this man.

02:35:27 - 02:35:29 | Speaker 8:

Liam Hemsworth, has he commented yet about the song?

02:35:30 - 02:35:34 | Speaker 4:

No. I don't think he will. I don't think he can. He's the bad guy. Yeah.

02:35:34 - 02:35:41 | Speaker 8:

He's got to come out and try to fix his image. What does he say? He needs to come out with his own parody of this. It'll only put him more under the spotlight for bad behavior.

02:35:41 - 02:35:42 | Speaker 4:

No, no, no, no, no.

02:35:42 - 02:35:45 | Speaker 8:

He needs to go on like Jimmy Kimmel and do a version of that song or something.

02:35:45 - 02:36:27 | Speaker 4:

You won't win against 25-year-old women. You just won't. Don't try. You won't. The unit that all five police officers involved with, Tyree Nichols' death, He was beaten to death by police officers. That unit was called the Scorpion Unit, and it's being dismantled. This was the Memphis Police Department's response to the public outcry following the release of that body cam footage. The department did put out a pretty long statement saying, while the heinous actions of a few casts a cloud of dishonor on the title Scorpion, it is imperative that we, the Memphis Police Department, take proactive steps in the healing process for all impacted. This is what the chief had to say before that body cam footage came out.

02:36:27 - 02:36:42 | Speaker 3:

It was incomprehensible to me. It was unconscionable. And I felt that I needed to do something and do something quickly. I don't think I've witnessed anything of that nature in my entire career.

02:36:43 - 02:36:55 | Speaker 4:

So once that body cam footage and the overhead footage was released Friday night, we got a lot of people on the Internet saying, well, he was reaching for the cops' weapons. Well, this is what his stepfather had to say about it.

02:36:55 - 02:37:11 | Speaker 1:

Anybody who watched the video know that Tyree did not reach for an officer's gun. He was just trying to cover his tail. And if you know Tyree like we know Tyree, he would have never, ever tried to reach for an officer's gun.

02:37:12 - 02:37:14 | Speaker 8:

Disgusting. That was awful.

02:37:14 - 02:37:25 | Speaker 4:

It's heartbreaking. It is absolutely heartbreaking to watch that footage. Damar Hamlin, for the first time since his accident, is talking on camera about his emergency on field at the Buffalo Bengals game a few weeks ago.

02:37:25 - 02:37:39 | Speaker 2:

This is just the beginning of the impact that I wanted to have on the world. He looks great. And with God's guidance, I will continue to do wonderful and great things. I couldn't do this without any of the support and the love, and I can't wait to continue to take y'all on this journey with me.

02:37:39 - 02:37:47 | Speaker 5:

I'm glad he finally said something on camera, though, because there were people saying that he wasn't really at the Buffalo Bills game. There was a whole conspiracy theory.

02:37:47 - 02:37:52 | Speaker 8:

I saw that internet People saying how do you know it really was him

02:37:52 - 02:37:59 | Speaker 5:

Because they never showed his face or anything And he was very quick in and out of the car So they were saying There was a whole rabbit hole of conspiracy theory

02:37:59 - 02:38:04 | Speaker 8:

There was a snowstorm so the skybox You couldn't see what he looked like in there

02:38:04 - 02:38:22 | Speaker 4:

I'm a little bit upset the Bills aren't going to the Super Bowl I did want that movie ending They still made it They did it for him We are going to have the Chiefs Versus the Eagles in the Super Bowl Travis Kelsey had his smack talk ready to go for the game, including out calling one

02:38:22 - 02:38:36 | Speaker 6:

Mr. Joe Burrow. I also love that he

02:38:36 - 02:38:39 | Speaker 4:

was not holding back when it came to the mayor of Cincinnati either.

02:38:40 - 02:38:59 | Speaker 6:

I appreciate you. How about this beautiful trophy? Huh? Hey, I got some wise words for that Cincinnati mayor. Know your role and shut your mouth, you jabroni. You gotta fight for your right to party.

02:39:01 - 02:39:07 | Speaker 8:

Does he party? I can't tell. You know what he's going to do when he retires from football. That guy's going right in the ring.

02:39:07 - 02:39:17 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I really want the Eagles to win because I really want Cincinnati to lose. you can check out all of today's dirty by hitting up the dirty page at mojo in the morning.com

02:39:42 - 02:40:00 | Speaker 8:

Mojo in the Morning show, your home of the phone scams. We're going to call Amber. They recently moved into a new apartment complex, and I guess everyone who runs it is really old, and she says really weird. So we're going to actually have some fun. They tried.

02:40:00 - 02:40:13 | Speaker 1:

to avoid bumping into co-workers because they talk forever. So Spike is going to dial up and pretend to be one of the people that works at the apartment management office with this phone scam this morning.

02:40:16 - 02:40:19 | Speaker 6:

It's Mojo in the Morning Phone Scams.

02:40:25 - 02:40:44 | Speaker 3:

Hello? Hi, I'd like to speak to Amber or Doug, please. Uh, speaking. Is this Amber or is this Doug? This is Amber. This is Sandy from the front office. You live in apartment 612, is that correct? Yes, ma'am. Do you know Carl, the property manager?

02:40:46 - 02:40:47 | Speaker 4:

Uh, yes, ma'am.

02:40:47 - 02:41:33 | Speaker 3:

Well, I'm Carl's girlfriend, and he had to run out and get some supplies, so Carl put me in charge of some phone calls tonight. Carl took me down to Applebee's for our anniversary tonight, but they didn't have a smoking section so we didn't stay too long on account of me not knowing where I would have put my nicotine patch on. This is the third time I stopped there at Applebee's that they didn't have their natural light so I didn't stay long and you shouldn't go either if you like natural light. Anyway, we have an issue in the community with the dog poops. Can I talk to you for a second about your dog? Of course. Well, someone I go to church with was telling me that your dog was the one that's the offender because we've been finding a lot of dog poops around the common areas and the entrance and the pool.

02:41:35 - 02:41:39 | Speaker 4:

Oh, but that's not us. That's not our dog. I mean, we do a really good job of cleaning up after him.

02:41:39 - 02:41:48 | Speaker 3:

But you do have a dog, correct? Yeah, I do have a dog. They told me the lady that goes to church with me was telling me she saw you out walking your dog.

02:41:49 - 02:41:53 | Speaker 4:

They saw a chihuahua because I clean up after my dog.

02:41:53 - 02:42:01 | Speaker 3:

These poops are big, so I'm not so sure it's from a Chihuahua. It's got to be from a bigger dog like. What other dogs do you have?

02:42:02 - 02:42:04 | Speaker 4:

We just have the one Chihuahua.

02:42:04 - 02:43:46 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my heavens to Dickens. You know what I just realized? I think I left my NASCAR lighter on the bar top at Applebee's. I got to find an Uber. You like to turn up, Amber? Do I like to what? 02:44:53 - 02:45:00 | Speaker 5:

Toledo, three great stations, one stupid show. This is Mo.

02:45:00 - 02:46:12 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning, live. All right, Mojo in the morning show. So I have to ask the listeners if I am overblowing something or if I have any people out there that would agree with me on this. I need validation. I always need validation, and you are the only people that validate me. You're the people who feel like I am always right. thank you um i gave ej who is our night dj on uh channel 955 i gave him some of my clothes that didn't fit me like i had some clothes that were like from my like ultra skinny days and i'm not going to get to that skinny anymore i decided that i can't get down that i was honestly it i was i was very you know bad in the fact that i thought that i could actually be somebody that was going to be close to the uh to the 200 even mark you know healthy of you it would not be good for thank you is it it's healthy of me you're validating me now oh wait i take it back i don't ever want

02:46:12 - 02:46:16 | Speaker 1:

to validate you i'm on team ej before i even know what's going on for the for those that want to

02:46:16 - 02:48:19 | Speaker 2:

know what my actual weight is my actual weight is i i weighed myself uh just the other day and i was 271 pounds. So I was over 300 pounds. That was not healthy. And I need to lose probably another 40 pounds. But the lowest that I ever was, and it's actually the picture that I have on my My personal Facebook and Instagram page is where I was 218 pounds. I was actually in seventh grade and weighed 215 pounds. Like that's how big I was in seventh grade because I was six foot two in seventh grade. I was the same height, just maybe an inch or two smaller or shorter. So long story short, and I should just get right to the story here. E.J., that rotten son of a bitch, I gave him all of my jean jackets that I can't fit into and I'll never be able to fit into again. And they're nice jean jackets. First off, who needs five jean jackets anyway? But I had five jean jackets. I had every different type of jean jacket. I had faded denim. I had dark denim. I had black. I had blue. I had all kinds of duns. Well, I get that. I get different colored denims. Well, and I couldn't fit into the size, too. That was the other thing. So I sent them to EJ, and EJ, for those that don't know, lives in Los Angeles, because he also does the night show for our sister station, Kiss FM. Well, I sent him all these jean jackets, which were a lot of jean jackets, and I didn't check the pockets to see if there was money in the pockets, only to find out that two of the jean jackets had money in the pockets. and EJ told me that they had money in the pockets but he won't give me the money back well how much money are we talking I said to him how much money was in the pockets and he said to me it was over $25 but he won't tell me the exact amount

02:48:19 - 02:48:25 | Speaker 3:

but what a dummy why would he tell you because once he tells you he has to do the right thing and be honest I don't know

02:48:25 - 02:48:37 | Speaker 2:

I have no idea I I'm going to give his number out I'm just going to give it out. Everybody call him. Actually, Reese, do me a favor.

02:48:37 - 02:48:38 | Speaker 3:

I got you.

02:48:38 - 02:48:47 | Speaker 2:

Post the picture of EJ in the jean jacket and post it up on our story so that you can check it out. Oh, this is Megan. That's me.

02:48:47 - 02:48:49 | Speaker 3:

That's Megan. So I've been trying.

02:48:49 - 02:48:59 | Speaker 2:

Post it on the story and then put EJ's, you know, Instagram on there and tell people to attack him to tell him that he's got to give me my money back.

02:49:00 - 02:49:00 | Speaker 1:

All right.

02:49:01 - 02:49:01 | Speaker 2:

Thank you.

02:49:01 - 02:49:05 | Speaker 1:

I think this is a prime case of finders keepers.

02:49:05 - 02:49:06 | Speaker 2:

No, it's not.

02:49:06 - 02:49:06 | Speaker 1:

I think so.

02:49:06 - 02:49:24 | Speaker 2:

You gifted him. So let me ask you guys. If you gave a couch to somebody, all right, like that couch that Shannon gave Reese. If in the cushions there was like Shannon's money, Reese would be obligated to give that money back to Shannon. Because he only got the couch. He didn't get the money.

02:49:25 - 02:49:28 | Speaker 3:

Which question are you asking? What should we do or what would we do?

02:49:28 - 02:49:42 | Speaker 2:

Well, if somebody. How about this, Spike? Like, you've given things to people. Yeah. How would you feel if somebody got, say, is there a, you know, if this could be like 50 bucks or something like that. And if there was like 50, 50 bucks is a lot of money.

02:49:42 - 02:49:54 | Speaker 3:

Plus, I gave. I would hope they would give it, call me and be like, hey, I found this in your pocket and give it back to me. But otherwise, I hope they wouldn't mention it. Because then if you want to keep it, just don't tell me and I don't know it's gone. I'll never know.

02:49:54 - 02:50:15 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to tell you this right now, Mojo. So your wife, Chelsea, is giving my wife a bunch of her old. shoes if there's money in those shoes i looked you are not getting that money i searched already yeah chelsea posted up on her uh her instagram that she's getting rid of a bunch of shoes anybody wear her size and your wife and chelsea are the same size shoes if there's money in there i'm

02:50:15 - 02:50:18 | Speaker 2:

taking so obviously you didn't need the money because you didn't even check the jean jackets

02:50:18 - 02:50:27 | Speaker 1:

before you handed them ej says i'm on an airplane right now i'm bumping you through the sky Here, I'm going to tell him, pick up. Pick up.

02:50:28 - 02:50:32 | Speaker 2:

Can he pick up on a flight? I thought you weren't allowed to do voice calls still.

02:50:32 - 02:50:39 | Speaker 1:

Really? Yeah. Here, let's see if he does it on a voice call or on a FaceTime.

02:50:42 - 02:50:47 | Speaker 3:

FaceTiming in the sky. Yeah. He can fly twice in the sky. Give us a look.

02:50:49 - 02:50:55 | Speaker 1:

He's not going to pick up, you want to know why? because he doesn't want the flight attendant to arrest him when he lands.

02:50:58 - 02:51:02 | Speaker 2:

He's a close enough friend. He should know not to tell Mojo, you can't do this because now you're going to do this.

02:51:03 - 02:51:06 | Speaker 1:

Lexi, hi. Do you think EJ should have to give me my money back?

02:51:07 - 02:51:48 | Speaker 4:

No. Honestly, it's the cut finders keepers. I had my friend babysit my kids when I was working three years ago. I had $160 or $80 or something like that in an envelope for her on the counter. and i got home and the money was gone and we couldn't find it anywhere so we like we searched everywhere and we ended up selling our couch and i'm pretty sure the money was in there because the people were like super cool they're like oh it looks great i'm like yeah you might find some things in there like because i have kids it might be a little toys or whatever and they're like oh yeah we found some big things in there and then they blocked me on facebook that's the move but like still like it's a joke like to this very end like when we move out of our house we're like the next people might find like almost 200 in the envelope for my friend or

02:51:48 - 02:52:22 | Speaker 1:

whatever but it's 25 bucks let them have it um you know what though but 25 is 25 i would spend that money on these guys i would buy these guys don't let him lie to you probably paid that for shipping though i did i actually i had to go uh to the ups store and it cost me probably 17 to ship that to him what's up rachel what's up i thought she said ship i thought she did too I'm sorry You should check your stuff Before you send it Is what you're trying to say

02:52:22 - 02:52:24 | Speaker 5:

Just by the way

02:52:24 - 02:52:32 | Speaker 1:

The reason why I need that $25 now Is I have to pay a $100,000 Fine from the FCC For your swearing just now

02:52:32 - 02:52:33 | Speaker 5:

Oh no

02:52:33 - 02:52:37 | Speaker 1:

Now you need to go on my side on this one Not EJ's side

02:52:37 - 02:52:44 | Speaker 5:

No I can't Once it's theirs Are you the type of person

02:52:44 - 02:52:58 | Speaker 1:

that goes to, say, Salvation Army and you go to the store and you look through the pockets just to see if anybody left it? Do you think they have... Do they have a person at Goodwill or Salvation Army that does that, just goes through pockets?

02:52:59 - 02:53:07 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Oh, yeah, the employees. Yeah, they have intake employees whose job it is to get everything ready for the floor, and they clean things up, check pockets.

02:53:09 - 02:53:27 | Speaker 5:

My aunt used to work at a dry cleaner's, and she would find thousands of dollars in the pocket wait wait now i feel like dry cleaners have to give you that back i don't i don't know i don't know no they know who they got it from finders keepers does not apply

02:53:27 - 02:53:34 | Speaker 1:

it's a business i don't know i i think megan's right on this one

02:53:34 - 02:53:46 | Speaker 5:

your aunt is a thief right on that one too yeah i think she's right on that one too because You know, I asked my aunt, I'm like, don't you have to give that back? And she's like, well, we've seen it. And I'm like, well, that doesn't matter.

02:53:49 - 02:53:51 | Speaker 1:

Kelsey, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning.

02:53:52 - 02:54:05 | Speaker 3:

I'm just trying to say that I'm just like Mojo. I'm petty, and I want that money back. I just paid $17 to give you those jackets. Then I'm going to get that $25 back.

02:54:05 - 02:54:15 | Speaker 1:

If you want to see what EJ looks like, go up to our story and look, and then I want you to send him a DM and tell him he's a rotten bastard.

02:54:15 - 02:54:19 | Speaker 2:

You can see what he looks like. Oh, I will. In a jean jacket and a $50 haircut.

02:54:20 - 02:54:25 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, wouldn't it be crazy if I'm paying for this guy? All right.

02:54:26 - 02:54:28 | Speaker 2:

It's the second date update. I'm Mojo in the Morning.

02:54:29 - 02:54:47 | Speaker 1:

We're going to find out why you're not getting a call back after you went out on a date. So, Caitlin, you like this guy and you wanted it to go further, but it didn't or hasn't. Can you just kind of set up for us a little bit about, like, what did you guys do when you first met?

02:54:49 - 02:55:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. So we went out on our first date, actually, last weekend to a concert. It was in Grand Rapids. And, I mean, I had a great time.

02:55:00 - 02:55:25 | Speaker 5:

i think he had a great time too it was it was one of those things where we had like you know an immediate connection um i think i felt like the date went really well um he actually came back to your place afterwards right yes he stayed the night actually at my place um did you guys fool around if you don't mind me asking we always have to ask that um i don't mind we yes we we had

02:55:25 - 02:55:34 | Speaker 1:

sex and yeah and it was after this moment after that date that you haven't really gone on another

02:55:34 - 02:56:04 | Speaker 5:

date you haven't uh had a second opportunity with him yeah i mean which i mean it's a big change like we were texting every single day leaning up to the concert um but then the day after like just i wanted to make more plans so i i reached out to him and he i don't know his His vibe just sort of really changed He just gave me Like a short, you know, short thing I'll let you know Kind of thing And that was it

02:56:04 - 02:56:15 | Speaker 1:

Alright, we're going to find out We're going to find out what's going on Why it's been over a week Tommy is his name Tommy, are you okay with your voice on the radio?

02:56:16 - 02:56:17 | Speaker 5:

Yeah

02:56:17 - 02:56:19 | Speaker 1:

No, Tommy

02:56:19 - 02:56:22 | Speaker 2:

Are you there, Tommy? There he is.

02:56:22 - 02:56:28 | Speaker 1:

There you are. I was muted there for a second. Tommy, say hi to Caitlin.

02:56:30 - 02:56:33 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Caitlin. Hi.

02:56:35 - 02:56:36 | Unknown:

What's going on?

02:56:36 - 02:56:51 | Speaker 1:

Tommy, we're doing second date update, and Caitlin was telling us about how you guys went out over a week ago and that you guys haven't reconnected after that, and she just wanted to know what's going on. Caitlin, what do you want to ask him?

02:56:52 - 02:57:12 | Speaker 5:

I, you know, I just kind of want to know where you've been this week. It feels very weird. You know, we were texting so much, and I thought we had such a great time at the concert and that night, and I just, I kind of want to know what's going on, why you haven't responded again to me.

02:57:14 - 02:57:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Honestly, I've just been really busy.

02:57:19 - 02:57:28 | Speaker 1:

too busy just to pick up the phone and make a phone call yeah i mean

02:57:28 - 02:57:56 | Speaker 3:

yeah i mean that night that we went to the concert it was a great concert and everything like that and you know it was a great night like honestly i mean going back to your house and everything but like i'm gonna be honest here like we went when we were back at your house and like You got up for a little bit. You left your laptop on, and you were, like, Googling my address, and it really kind of freaked me out a little bit.

02:57:57 - 02:57:59 | Speaker 1:

You saw her Googling your address?

02:58:00 - 02:58:08 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Like, my home address was up there, and I was, like, kind of freaked out, turned off by it.

02:58:08 - 02:58:14 | Speaker 1:

She was, like, Googling while you guys were there, or she Googled earlier, and you saw that she was looking for your address?

02:58:15 - 02:58:25 | Speaker 3:

No, it was while I was there, I guess. Like, you know, I can't, I don't know when she was doing it. You know, like I said, we were a little busy beforehand, before I noticed it.

02:58:25 - 02:58:28 | Speaker 2:

Caitlin, you're supposed to run a background check before the date, not on the date.

02:58:30 - 02:58:43 | Speaker 5:

Well, like, I don't know why, why are you looking at my laptop? I mean, why, that's like my private property. Like, why would, why would you, why would you?

02:58:43 - 02:58:46 | Speaker 2:

Was it open in the room you guys were in or did he have to snoop for that?

02:58:47 - 02:58:59 | Speaker 3:

no i didn't i don't like i didn't i didn't i didn't i didn't hack your password like i didn't it was it was open it was up it was on the screen when i walked by i was like walking by and i'm

02:58:59 - 02:59:10 | Speaker 4:

like wait that's my handle yeah but it's pretty common to google somebody when you're going out on a first date with them and addresses pop up like i i don't see why this is such a big deal

02:59:10 - 02:59:19 | Speaker 3:

because it's so common honestly i don't think it's very common at all like i don't know I guarantee you every girl

02:59:19 - 02:59:25 | Speaker 4:

Who has ever gone on a date with you Has googled and stalked your social media presence For sure

02:59:25 - 02:59:27 | Speaker 1:

But why is she googling though while he's there with her

02:59:27 - 02:59:37 | Speaker 4:

Maybe he said something fishy And she wanted to make sure he didn't have an arrest record How do we know that he was perfect on this date Maybe he was the weird one

02:59:37 - 02:59:39 | Speaker 1:

Caitlin why were you doing it then Was that the reason

02:59:39 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 5:

I wasn't doing it then actually And this is the thing Like, I mean, it was, we were in my, we were in my bedroom and it was dark. Like I'm trying to remember what my laptop looked like, but definitely it was asleep. Like he had to have touched it. Like, and I just, I don't, I don't understand why you would.

03:00:00 - 03:00:15 | Speaker 8:

touch my things like it just i feel it just feels like you're invading my privacy a little bit like i i don't need to defend myself about any of this like you shouldn't have touched my things i just i

03:00:15 - 03:00:28 | Speaker 2:

feel so weird right now let me grab some calls here from listeners that want to comment on the second date update 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 nicole hi mojo hey what'd you want to say second

03:00:28 - 03:00:44 | Speaker 4:

update update if i was doing something like that if i was doing a deep dive on a guy i would make sure there was no evidence in the room when he was there i mean that's just kind of creepy if i saw a guy googling my address i would be weirded out even if i would do it just to like see what he

03:00:44 - 03:00:55 | Speaker 2:

was doing he would not find out about it yeah so you gotta be he's gotta be a little you know or she's gotta be a little better at hiding this stuff yeah definitely what if this was the other

03:00:55 - 03:01:01 | Speaker 3:

way around and she saw his laptop and his laptop was open and he was googling stuff on her he'd be

03:01:01 - 03:01:07 | Speaker 6:

a stalker no i truly think it's a new normal like everybody is doing this i think social media i

03:01:07 - 03:01:19 | Speaker 2:

don't know about google who's who's the stalker he or she because who's is the stalker the person that's doing a background check or is the stalker the person that's looking at the equipment while

03:01:19 - 03:01:36 | Speaker 6:

they're in the house i think he's in the wrong for snooping lisa comment from you hey i'm just saying every pretty much every girl we look up everything we can about you and then we send it to our best friend because we don't know you we're gonna go meet you out we're gonna find everything we can about you and be like look this is who i'm gonna go see and if something happens

03:01:36 - 03:02:03 | Speaker 5:

this is who i was with uh mojo in the morning andy yeah i feel like um she's actually gaslighting him right now a little bit you think she put it out there intentionally no it's just kind of weird Like that he's letting her know Like hey I saw you looking at my address I'm weirded out by that And her only response is Oh like you touched my thing Like not giving the reason why She was actually looking up his information

03:02:03 - 03:02:11 | Speaker 2:

Or is the reason why so obvious That she was just checking his address out Thanks for the call Jen comment

03:02:11 - 03:02:20 | Speaker 7:

Kind of like the last comment But seriously though Like you're concerned about him touching your private thing But like his thing was just

03:02:20 - 03:02:41 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Very good point there, Jen. Yes. We can end on that, Jen, because I think that says it all right there. I'm assuming that maybe, Caitlin, you don't want another date with Tommy, or would you want me to ask him if he wants another date?

03:02:42 - 03:02:51 | Speaker 8:

I mean, honestly, I feel a little uncomfortable now. I don't know if I trust him the same way as I did before.

03:02:51 - 03:02:55 | Speaker 2:

So, is it uncomfortable because he was snooping or uncomfortable because you got caught?

03:02:57 - 03:03:07 | Speaker 7:

This is why you don't sleep with people on the first date. Well, don't sleep. People can do what they want. Well, they can, but I'm just saying, lesson learned in her case.

03:03:07 - 03:03:09 | Speaker 2:

Second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

03:03:10 - 03:03:12 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning's top trending stories.

03:03:12 - 03:04:21 | Speaker 2:

All right, top trending stories of the day. Some stories that we didn't get a chance to cover in depth this morning. We're going to do one is the age limit on social media and what the attorney general has to say. First story, though, you ready for this scary news? A top Air Force general sent a memo warning of war with Russia in 2025. General Mike Minahan sent a memo. It's an internal memo that got leaked to his rank and file that reports to him that within the Air Mobility Command in the unit that, by the way, serves over 50,000 service members with 500 planes and transport units, that we are preparing, the U.S. is preparing for China to go to war with us in 2025. Oh, great. Happy Monday, everybody. Minahan goes on to say that he believes that the move will be because of Taiwan and Taiwan being a democracy and China not wanting it to be a democracy.

03:04:22 - 03:04:30 | Speaker 1:

And the China government, I found the economy and the government so unstable right now that they really feel like they will become a major aggressor in the next few years.

03:04:30 - 03:05:00 | Speaker 2:

Scariness. The story that, Megan, you did a great job covering this morning, and we cannot let this story go without some kind of action, especially from, you know, our Congress people. The Memphis Police Department announced that they're disbanding that force called the Scorpion Unit, which is the reason, you know, that these five officers that now have been fired and are going to be...

03:05:00 - 03:06:26 | Speaker 4:

brought up on charges of this there may be more officers to come on this not just from the beating of Tyree Nichols but from other different things that these that the Memphis police were doing well there's been a call to action this morning the uh head of the NAACP the president and CEO Derek Johnson is called saying that it is time for Congress to take action immediately after seeing that video which i watched the entire thing i watched it friday night and i was so appalled they compared it to the rodney king beating and i gotta be honest with you i think this thing was and not to sit there and compare any of them but this was the most tragic video i think i have ever seen could not agree with you more um they are now calling for some action to take place some of the things that they want they want better training for the police officers. They want some of these officers to be able to not have protection from the insurance that's used, the immunity insurance that's used by the police force. And they think that in some cases, in many cases, that paying the officers as little as they're paying them, they're getting the bottom of the barrel type people. Benjamin Crump, who is representing the family of of Tyree came out to speak about this. He calls for his mother three times. I mean

03:06:26 - 03:06:34 | Speaker 1:

heart-wrenching uh cries for his mother and then he never says another word again. Crump also

03:06:34 - 03:06:39 | Speaker 3:

addressed the race of the officers who are black and the fact that Nichols is also black. And what

03:06:39 - 03:07:14 | Speaker 1:

I found, Liz, in my almost 25 years of doing this civil rights work in America is that it is not the race of the police officer that is the determining factor of whether they're going to engage in excessive use of force, but it is the race of the citizen. And oftentimes Sometimes it's black and brown citizens who bear the brunt of this police brutality.

03:07:14 - 03:07:56 | Speaker 4:

Many are calling out the past Congress because the past Congress did nothing after George Floyd to do any kind of protections and to change some of the laws. But now it'll be interesting to see if the current Congress does. uh surgeon general vivek murthy he is the surgeon general of the united states she is he is it's a it's a she vivek murthy are you positive yeah i am oh really okay all right vivek murphy comes out to speak about social media are you making me think no i don't think so i think

03:07:56 - 03:08:00 | Speaker 5:

you're wrong i thought i thought we had our first female surgeon general last year no i'm looking

03:08:00 - 03:08:36 | Speaker 4:

at the video he's uh it's a it's uh it's he he's a renowned research scientist entrepreneur uh has wrote some books called the healing power of human connection um he was born in 1977 i'm looking at his wikipedia right now uh he was born ready for this oh hold on ready for this because I've got to tell you, I think it's a great place to be born. Hold on. I'm finding it right now. Love's world. He was born in England, in the U.K. Oh, look at that. In Huddersfield, England. All right.

03:08:36 - 03:08:38 | Speaker 5:

I was thinking of a different Vivek Murthy.

03:08:38 - 03:08:49 | Speaker 4:

So Vivek Murthy came out to say 13 years old is far too young for children to be on social media.

03:08:49 - 03:10:00 | Speaker 2:

Is it the right age for a child to start using social media? I worry that right now, if you look at the guidelines from the platforms, that age 13 is when kids are technically allowed to use social media. But there are two concerns I have about that. One is, I personally, based on the data I've seen, believe that 13 is too early. And I think that it's a time, you know, early adolescence, where kids are developing their identity, their sense of self. It's a time where it's really important for us to be thoughtful about what's going into how they think about their own self-worth and their relationships and the skewed and often distorted environment of social media often does a disservice to many of those children. But the other concern I have is that these rules around age are inconsistently implemented. We have some of the best designers and product developers in the world who have designed these products to make sure people are maximizing the amount of time they spend on these platforms. And if we tell a child, use the force of your willpower to control how much time you're spending, you're pitting a child against the world's greatest product designers, and that's just not a fair fight. And so that's why I think our kids need help. And what we need, which we don't have right now, is we need transparency from social media companies as to the impact that they're...

03:10:00 - 03:10:17 | Speaker 1:

platforms are having on kids and which kids are being adversely affected we also need safety standards which we don't have in my house right now the vast majority of products that you know that we buy that i use have some had to meet some sort of safety standard in order to be sold that is not true in general of social media and that is something we have to fix

03:10:17 - 03:10:34 | Speaker 2:

there's no doubt there's a crisis there right i mean there's a crisis right now so bad right with mental health challenges everybody's quick to blame covid but i remember us talking pre-covid about social media and all the mental health challenges that has been causing that age group.

03:10:34 - 03:11:15 | Speaker 4:

Murthy warned parents of extreme harm with social media platforms an excessive amount of time on saying that there is now more bullying that takes place. Also, there's more risks of suicide. A study published in the Journal for the AMA Pediatrics earlier this month argued that social media is reprogramming our children's brains and creating a generation of thin-skinned adults megan get off social media you're so funny you are not allowed on so funny listen to what our good friend mark zuckerberg is he our good friend no no no no listen that's the problem with that

03:11:15 - 03:11:24 | Speaker 2:

clip where the surgeon general was saying we need them to police uh to to give us all the data you think they're going to share with us how unhealthy they've found their own product listen to his

03:11:24 - 03:11:27 | Speaker 4:

comment from this comment from the search in general.

03:11:27 - 03:11:36 | Speaker 2:

The research that we've seen is that using social apps to to connect with other people can have positive mental health benefits. Sure.

03:11:36 - 03:11:38 | Speaker 4:

Oh my God.

03:11:38 - 03:11:49 | Speaker 3:

Why don't we talk about the people who's not paying well or giving mental health to that have to monitor his own website. We never talk about those people. The ones that have to do all the is this safe to watch for other people.

03:11:50 - 03:12:30 | Speaker 4:

You know who else we need to talk about? We need to talk about people that run the Empire State Building. Because this story is so... Was that a good segue or what? It was really good. There was a drama yesterday, last night, after the Philadelphia Eagles made it to the Super Bowl by beating the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game. Also, when Kansas City ended up beating Cincinnati, the Empire State Building turned green at the top, causing for New York Giants fans to be so upset. One, two, three. Fly, go, fly.

03:12:30 - 03:12:35 | Speaker 2:

Giants fans were living. Can you imagine the tallest building in your city celebrating your rival?

03:12:36 - 03:12:36 | Unknown:

Yeah.

03:12:37 - 03:12:52 | Speaker 4:

It was a pre-deal that was worked out by the NFL with the Empire State Building to use the colors of the teams that made it to the Super Bowl at the top of the Empire State Building. Was this the big fight song, Spike?

03:12:52 - 03:12:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. It started after I left Philadelphia.

03:12:57 - 03:13:03 | Speaker 4:

I liked the Lions one, the guy that sings the Lions one.

03:13:03 - 03:13:17 | Speaker 2:

You won't be hearing it at a Super Bowl. Rolling down the field. I'm not crazy about the Fly Eagles fly either. It was a thing from the 50s, and then someone just discovered it right around 98, 99 and brought it back. Start doing it again?

03:13:17 - 03:13:19 | Speaker 3:

Go Cubs Go is the only good one

03:13:19 - 03:13:23 | Speaker 4:
