Kev had one of the coolest things ever, he said, happened to him last night, and it was at parent-teacher conferences for his son, Josiah.

I am so blessed, man, to have Josiah as my son. He is the most incredible person, and it is one thing to understand that and know that for yourself as a parent. It's another thing when other people recognize it, like you on the show and friends and family and people who I see out. But to understand that he doesn't change when he enters school is a feeling I can't even put into words. And we go to parent-teacher conference yesterday. It's student-led conference. Now, Josiah has notoriously been an amazing academic student. His nickname is 4.0 Joe because that is what he brings home. Wow. He has, I think, six classes. Three of them he has A pluses. And then the other three he calls them regular A's because they don't have pluses. Regular A's. regular A's and I got A pluses that's very cute you know so I don't go in there thank God walking in there having to have the tough conversation of why is my child failing but I still don't want to just leave it up as like you're doing good I don't care like we still want to be active and apart and let the teachers know who we are and know that we care so we go in and man it really it was a moment where I almost cried I had to do one of those I know Megan say like women they had those moments where they got to like pull it together I had one of those moments where I got to like pull it together and not let the denzel washington glory single tear roll down my cheek wow that boy that man that's a visual yeah his teacher is saying like it is a testament to what you guys are doing at home not only is he a great student but he takes the time to help other kids be great students as well they said he was an example one of the teachers has a nephew in the class big shout out to chase he said chase was going in a different path and the teacher had told him monitor who you're hanging around with he said the guy has been sitting next to josiah and now his grades have changed his attitude has changed and he said it's a it's big piece of it is because of who josiah is and i'm just sitting there like this is my son bro like wow i got i can see i can see that your eyes are watering up right now it it really affected me because you can know it you can know in your heart that your children are special and whatever the case may be but to see a scholar or a teacher recognize that in your child and they they see thousands of kids right like I only have Josiah's where I was like 11 year old and like having life and you know doing life with a with a child of that age yeah but to hear it from a teacher who's had thousands of children cycle through it was a woman who's spent 13 years teaching and she's like I've never had anyone like him wow it was those moments that really spoke volumes can I thank you can I tell

you the greatest compliment is not about an a plus the greatest compliment is the influence that he is on the others and to know that he's doing that like to me yeah that you know you grades are grades right there's you know that's awesome that's cool what will take them through life is being the guy that lifts up others to to make them better that's awesome that's huge yeah by the way if you really would like to know what it's like to have a teacher tell you that your kid's an idiot go to parent teacher conferences for joe my son your joe and my joe are different joes actually your joe your joe is my jacob i went to parent teacher conferences once for jacob in high school at notre dame prep and three teachers in they said why are you here they were like he's actually you know great they and then they started talking about his brother Joe that wasn't even in their class

and how he was. You see some of those parents who walk out of the rooms and you can look at their faces and see this is about to be a good ride home. That's

amazing. You know what? I like starting off the morning with something really positive like this. I think that that's awesome. Are there any

waiting in front of the room for like the next up bro so first off it was no school yesterday and they opened the parent church conference from 9 a.m to 5 p.m okay and we went around 3 3 30 and in my mind i'm thinking i don't know why i thought we were going to slide in there and it was going to be late and nobody was going to show up that bitch was packed y'all i guess everybody had caught off work or got out of work a little early and they were there they had the chairs to your point yeah sitting all up front you got to sit there and wait for the people to cycle in Some of these teachers talk so damn much. You're like, oh, my God. I'm sitting and waiting for math for 30 minutes.

But it was incredible.

You know what? It reminds me of going to vote. That's what it reminds me of. You got to sit there and wait to do it. Did you ever hear the story about when we went to go parent-teacher conference for Luke and the teacher didn't know who Luke was? Oh, what? Like, I had no clue who Luke was. We're like, this is no joke. It was a teacher that asked to see his picture. Can I see?

Is he a really quiet kid?

No, that's the part that was so crazy. That's crazy, though. And they're like, oh, it was his Spanish teacher. He had a Spanish teacher in grade school. And the, oh, senor, whatever they call them, Lukey or Luca.

The only thing with those teachers is you get every student.

You don't have a class of three.

You have a school of 2000.

you doing doing good so uh at the parent teacher conference i went to at like josiah my kid's a really good kid i i don't really have to walk in and worry about anything happening or or you know usually we get you know all positive comments but i found out that she's so kind to others in school that she was chosen for a program to actually be let out of some of her regular classes to help with the cognitively impaired kids when they're doing, like, you know, gym programs where they don't have enough kids to, like, play make-up teams. So they'll come and grab her from a class and have her help out. It's awesome.

Congratulations, Dad. Nice work to both of you guys, Kev and Brian. And great job, dads, for doing great work with your kids.

Yeah, the kids definitely make it easy. And I'm sure Kevin can reiterate to that and attest to that. Like, you know, the drive of the child is different. And they make it easy and a joy to be that child's parent. That's right. It's huge. It's awesome.

Liam Payne had multiple substances in his system when he died in Argentina, including a mix of drugs known as pink cocaine. Some of the other drugs found in his system at the time of his death were cocaine, crack, ketamine, and ecstasy. Argentinian police also noted that he had cristal, which is an Argentinian version of meth. Also found in his room was alcohol and prescription anti-anxiety medication. Now, paparazzi caught up with Lamar Odom to ask about drugs after Liam's passing. And Lamar is opening up with his own experiences with street drugs. Now that Liam's toxicology report has come to light, saying that some of the drugs even made him hear voices. He's a recovering addict who actually now owns a recovery group. He says he did all of the same drugs that Liam had in his body at the time of his death, saying crack was the worst of the drugs. and some of these concoctions really caused him to have some severe hallucinations. You know, drugs?

could cause you to hallucinate.

Yeah.

And if he was in a hallucination state, then who knows what would happen.

Has that happened to you? Have you experienced that?

It was hurt, hurt voices.

There are rumors that some of the Argentinian police are leaning towards the fact that he was having hallucinations on this concoction of drugs, which led to him ending his own life.

I was mesmerized by a drug that I never knew anything about, the pink cocaine. I had no idea that there was a such thing as pink cocaine. And I was doing a little bit of research on pink cocaine, not realizing that it's like bad cocaine that they literally dye food coloring to. Make it more attractive. To make it, yeah.

So you mentioned like eight or nine different drugs. Are we thinking like it was like a Long Island, like where you just put a bunch of alcohols together? Is it like a concoction? He's not taking all of this separately, I imagine, right?

It was laid out separately in a hotel room.

Speaking of Long Island, I did not know that pink cocaine was something that they also could be ingested through drinking. They actually said they would put it in their drinks.

Lions wide receiver Jamison Williams was just suspended for two games for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing substances policy. Now, we're not immediately sure of what substances he actually tested positive for. But he was suspended for six games back in 2023 for violating the league's gambling policy by betting on other sports. while at a team facility or a hotel, which is against rules as well. So this is not the first time he's getting in trouble with the NFL, but at least this time it's just for two games.

This sucks. They just had their best win of the season, and he's their number two wide receiver on the team. And to be without him for games against the Titans, it looks like, and the Green Bay Packers.

The Packers are the one I'm worried about. I'm not worried about the Titans game without them.

Honestly, we can't look past the team. I mean, we can't look past anybody this year. I mean, look what happened against the Bucs.

It should be, to your point, we definitely don't want to look past him. We definitely wish he was here. We should beat them handily. To Megan's point also, of course, Green Bay is the matchup. He knows because he pretty much said, yes, you know, he's going to take the suspension. He's not even going to appeal it. But he's already been suspended a bunch of times. He got suspended, what, four games last year for the gambling? But that was BS.

He was gambling in a hotel room, and it wasn't even on NFL games. So it's not like he was even in the facility when he gambled.

An alleged female victim filed a lawsuit alleging a male and a female celebrity participated as Diddy sexually assaulted her while she was a minor, saying she was just 13 years old at the time of the attack. The woman said she was trying to gain access to the MTV Video Music Awards, wasn't able to enter without a ticket. She was outside of the facility once she was approached by several limousine drivers to attend an after party. They took her. She signed an NDA, was handed a drink at the door, welcomed inside. She claims that she started to feel very woozy and lightheaded after having just one drink, found her way to a bedroom to lay down when Diddy walked in with another male and female celebrity and that's when the assault occurred by both Diddy and this unnamed male celebrity while the female watched. Diddy denied all allegations and the other two celebrities

Celebrities have not yet been named.

Going back to the pink cocaine, they attributed Diddy also for the pink cocaine. They said that he and his parties were what made the pink cocaine popular with a lot of these celebrities.

Interesting.

So it's interesting that everything goes back to Diddy for some reason. Maybe J-Mo was taking something that was performance enhancing that Diddy talked about. I don't know. I'm not going there.

For those that don't know, our radio studios, the official Mojo in the Morning studios, our Detroit base, is going to be moving to a new location. Woo-hoo! And we're getting all these nice equipment, new studios. We're going to be right in downtown Detroit, right by Ford Field, Eastern Market area. That's right. Well, they moved the office staff down there yesterday, and yesterday we were abandoned. We were left for dead. We were literally in the squalors of this building.

Are you talking about something in particular?

Well, I'm talking a couple of things. Number one, we found out that they canceled our cable television. So that was one thing that was wrong. So cable was canceled or they didn't pay the next month's bill because they didn't want to have to pay for another month. And number two, most importantly, all of the paper product for us to go to the bathroom was completely gone.

Oh, my God. Did you see what they put in the bathroom instead? What did they put? Because they didn't put anything in ours. Well, they put toilet paper as a hand dryer. The one that's like, you can barely even wipe with it because it dissolves like cotton candy.

You know, we got that one ply because our company really likes to go above and beyond.

It's less than one ply. You guys got lucky.

It's like half. If you got that in your bathroom, you know what the guys got in their bathroom? What? Nada. We got air.

You want to tell when you wash your hands? Y'all don't wash your hands anyway. That's true. Cut the cat.

No, half of the women around here don't wash their hands either. It's very gross. I can hear you walk past the sinks and not turn it on. I know you didn't wash your hands, but the worst part about our bathrooms here on top of that is that our toilet dispenser doesn't actually turn, so you only get one square of tissue at a time.

Yeah.

It drives me nuts.

Well, let me just say this to you. I had to go to the bathroom multiple times yesterday. Of course, wouldn't you know it. On the day that we had this happen to us. And then the other, the most important, even more important than being able to have something to wash and wipe with. The temperature of the studio yesterday was 8,000 degrees. I don't think I sweat more in my life going into a red light sauna than I did in the studios yesterday. A blaze. It was crazy. So I wanted to ask this question. And I get it. We're moving to a new building. Why buy stuff for this building? But we're not gone yet. We're still here. We're the kids. We're the kids left behind. At least. I feel like Kevin from Home Alone. At least paper towel. Like, we're not asking for a lot.

Well, yesterday was the first day the sales team was at the new building. They're all living it up in Eastern Market. And we were here just like without anything. We didn't even have the scraps. I bet they had paper towels. I bet they had both. And Rhonda from the other station came in this morning. He goes, KP, do you guys have a Keurig? And I'm like, no, we only have an espresso. And they're like, they took the Keurig machine.

So here's the interesting thing. I was looking at social media yesterday of all the salespeople excited about the new digs. And then I looked at Jay Tower Social, and he was down there yesterday for the first time. I'm like, what? How did Jay get dibs on the new building way before we did? Between Charlemagne the God and Kamala Harris getting in our studios before we got in our studios, How is this? I would love to ask this question. I don't know if any listeners can tell us. I feel like we're in a foreclosed house right now, and we're squatting. What's the longest that anybody has ever or known of somebody ever that has squatted in a house before they got kicked out? Because I got a feeling that we're going to have the bank building or the bankers come, and they're going to kick us out of this place. Well, how long are we supposed to be here? How long do we have to deal with this? I thought that it was supposed to be like November the 15th or something like that. Oh, geez. Did you call her? Why did you call her?

No, I was not. But I do know people that were in a house for three years that I didn't know they were actually squatting. And it was crazy because they were, like, running out rooms and everything. And then just one day they packed up and left and a whole new group of people moved in and they squatted all last winter.

Oh, my gosh. So, wait, how long can you do it before they kick you out? And then when they kick you out, what do you do? Like, how do they get you out?

The crazy thing is, is like people will just show up and put your stuff out and lock the doors and put up a no trespassing. But the reason these people got away with it is because I guess the owner was in prison.

they moved in legitimately and then the guy went to prison and then she just stayed there

that is absolutely wild that's you know it's it always amazes me when you hear of these people that will go into somebody else's home when they just go on vacation and then won't leave their

home the concept of squatting doesn't make sense to me can someone explain this to me squatting

It means that they go into a house that's not theirs, but claim it as theirs.

Okay. And they can stay there.

They do just because it's, I think that the laws are kind of vague on if you can kick the people out of a home that they called their own.

Like it's because it's protecting tenants from bad landlords. So there's loopholes that people can take advantage of that are used to protect people in other cases.

So who paying a light bill? Well, let's ask somebody, Danny, you were a squatter for how long? I squatted for two years. Really? And Danny, when you squatted for two years, who paid to keep the lights on?

Well, the thing that happened was it happened a long time ago during the financial crisis. I lived in Chicago.

and the landlord passed away and his family didn't want to pay the mortgage but my roommate and i weren't going to pay them any of the money because they weren't paying the mortgage so we decided just to not pay anyone but mail the checks to ourselves so in case anyone ever said

anything we're like well we sent them he didn't cash oh so you sent them right to your place that

you were actually living in yeah the building tried to get us to pay but i was like you can They contacted an attorney because we don't have to pay you. They never did. They just thought we would pay.

How is mailing a check to yourself proving that you were paying the rent?

They didn't see the address. I just put a date stamp, so it showed the date.

I still don't get it. You're responsible for the crash.

So basically, he was sending them to the residence that he was at saying that the landlord used to have him send them there.

squatter but i had someone it happened to me in 2020 my husband was suffering from a mental health issue so i had to flee my home which was obviously sad and tragic but after i left he had moved some people in then they managed to get him arrested and then they told the police that they lived

there it was a mess oh my gosh so you're dealing with all this stuff that's happening with you know the health issues of your husband and some people just came in and kind of took over your

place correct and then when i told the police after they got him arrested they didn't belong there it was a mess they told them that he was they were renting from my husband it was court

it was police it was horrible oh my god that's that's horrible yeah uh did you get rid of that place i did we unfortunately had to move yes wow uh well if anybody needs anything they can come here they just got to bring toilet paper i'm going to give away concert tickets to jingle ball and the thing is going to be a byot bring your own toilet paper and byop bring your own paper towels it's mojo in the morning show uh megan you had something that happened to you over the weekend when you were at the wedding that we didn't get a chance to talk about yesterday. That was kind of an embarrassing thing. I swear, when you told this story, I was like, oh my God, that has happened to me. What happened?

Well, this completely stresses me out. It was one of those like foot in mouth situations because nobody keeps me in the loop. It makes me look like an a-hole. I was talking to one of our record reps and asking, like, are you coming to our jingle ball? because she's been at our Jingle Balls in the past and I'm going to be quite honest with you. If you're wondering, these record reps are people who work for record labels. They represent the artists and they get in contact with Tony and I trying to see hey, our artist has this new song coming out. We'd love to play it for you. Interested in seeing if you want to play it on your station. That's their job is to stay in communication with us and get their artists involved on our stations. Whatever ways they can right so when they have these big concerts sometimes they come into town and they're at them being a facilitator for these artists and kind of being like the middleman to manage stuff when they're in their region that's like what these people do yeah so she has come to our jingle balls in the past because she's had artists that were performing and she's hung out with us and yada yada yada and i was really excited and i could just tell immediately the vibe was ruined because she said well i was supposed to and again i'm like what happened what do you mean you were supposed to and she said well i was let go two weeks ago nobody told me i know five people who knew she and i were going to be there interacting with each other and knew each other and nobody told me that she had been let go hearing from her so fired me not hearing from her in two weeks is not super uncommon so like that wasn't a red flag like haven't heard from her in a while i just assume she didn't have an artist that released a song in the past couple of weeks like i how long

were you talking to her and kind of five minutes like five minutes engaged with other radio people and they all looked at me after i said that like oh no no and she was like fighting back tears and

turned away. I ruined the vibe down to my glass.

happened to me on a different level and i don't know if this has ever happened to anybody where somebody it's kind of like foot in the mouth it happened to me with somebody's marriage where i just kept talking to them about their their spouse and kept saying you know how is how's how's so-and-so doing what's going on how's that it's like we got divorced about six months ago and i was like i didn't see that on the facebook you don't put that on there no i had

the same situation it wasn't the marriage mine is more similar to megan's where the worst is like when you're in an atmosphere that is celebratory where everybody's happy everybody's joyous that's the vibe i'm at an event earlier this year in the summertime everybody's in full tuxedos we're dressed nice we're celebrating i see this guy he comes up to me we start talking quote unquote shop he worked at a sports company didn't realize he didn't work there anymore they're on a win streak I'm like man y'all killing it over there y'all crushing the housing what does it feel like to be in this environment

he's like actually I haven't been there in two months oh like how do you pit me

I'm like on the bigger and better things right everything happens for a reason you know what I just like literally I just went that sucks what do you do I don't know

By the way, the everything happens for a reason thing doesn't work within two weeks. It works within six months or a year or something like that. Yeah, everything happens for a reason. But within two weeks and they're wondering what's going on and they're still trying to figure out if I have insurance. You know what that says to me?

Disgraced Hollywood mogul, Harvey Weinstein, has chronic myeloid leukemia, an uncommon form of cancer of the bone marrow. He is currently going through treatment in prison at Rikers Island, and we're learning about this because it was brought up during his legal battle with Manhattan prosecutors over their efforts to combine his original 2020 sexual crimes with a new criminal indictment. His New York conviction was overturned this year as he was serving a 23 year sentence. New York Court of Appeals found that in the original case, the judge prejudiced Weinstein when he made a decision to let women testify about the allegations that weren't a part of the case. The reason that Weinstein is still in prison, though, is because he was also convicted in a 2022 case of rape in L.A. and sentenced to 16 years in that case.

You know how they say that bad things happen to good people? This is one of those things where it's like there are probably a few people going, eh, whatever.

Yeah, I was holding my breath with where you were going with that sentence, and I'm glad where it ended up. No.

I sign autographs for every single one of them. Then I say to her, can we take a photo together? She goes, no, I don't know what I did.

Yeah, so Elvira posted this on her Instagram. I don't think anybody expected it to get the kind of attention that it did. And let us not forget Ariana Grande is the middle of promoting Wicked, where she plays the good witch. She cannot have negative press right now. so Ariana Grande goes to her Instagram and she types out this huge apology saying I'm so disheartened to see this I actually don't even remember getting the chance to meet you because I had an anxiety attack and to my memory I left before the rest of my family but if I'm misremembering this moment I sincerely apologize for offending you so Ariana even thanks Elvira for being so kind to her family noting her mom had nothing but nice things to say about her but added she might have different feelings about that now but I'll ask her. Since his death last week, his music jumped from 4.7 million monthly listeners on one streaming platform to 8 million monthly listeners. The single Strip That Down specifically gained about 800,000 streams, which is absolutely insane.

That is unbelievable, isn't it? It's like usually a scandal or a death get you more streams because the Diddy stuff got a bunch of streams, too.

Yeah. One Direction blew up. But this song specifically went up nearly a million streams in the past week.

This actually was one of the better songs that we ever played.

He posted the letter up on one of the Barstool podcast social medias that he got while he was attending the Ur's tour in Miami. On the envelope, Taylor wrote Dave with like a star drawn on it next to his name and in the back had a seal with the number 13 in it. But if you're wondering okay, but what's inside of the note? Well she wrote that she was happy Dave was going to attend her show, which is what she writes in a lot of them. But then she went on to thank him for always being so supportive, so loyal and for having her back when a lot of people didn't. If you're wondering, well, where did this come from? Well, this all has to do with when she endorsed Kamala Harris for president. Dave Portnoy was the one to go to the internet and defend her, tweeting, as king of the Swifties, people are asking me what I think of her Kamala endorsement. I don't care at all. People can vote for whoever they want in this country. However somebody votes will never change my opinion of a person. I'm voting the other way, but to each their own. Now, the five men who were wrongly accused of a violent series of attacks back in the 80s in Central Park are now suing Donald Trump for something he said with that debate with Kamala Harris. In the debate, Harris brought up Donald Trump calling for the execution of the Central Park Five by getting a full page ad in multiple newspapers, including The New York Times, after the men had been arrested. And Trump responded by saying this.

They're destroying our country and they come up with things like what she just said. Going back many, many years, when a lot of people, including Mayor Bloomberg, agreed with me on the.

Central Park Five, they admitted, they said, they pled guilty. And I said, well, if they pled guilty, they'd badly hurt a person, killed a person ultimately. And if they pled guilty, then they pled, we're not guilty. But this is a person that has to stretch back years, 40, 50 years ago, because there's nothing now.

No, you're going to, seriously, life is too short. Life is too short. It's okay. You can forgive, you don't have to forget, but you don't have to, like, you know, make it hard. Maybe this person did retribution.

That's great. I'm not saying don't forgive the person. I'm not saying don't be nice to the person. But why are we trusting? Why are you bringing him into the home?

Okay, so I want to know. You have to call and tell us. Are you the type of person that would forgive somebody or are you the person that holds grudges and doesn't forgive?

I don't even think it's holding grudges. I don't like the way that you're freezing it. He's spinning it.

Then what is it?

My thing is, are you the type of person that if somebody does you wrong, you can say, OK, we're good now. And then move on in your separate directions. You're not holding a grudge. You're not holding on to negative energy. You're just saying, OK, this is what's happening. You don't need to be in my life anymore. Or are you the type of person that says, once you did me wrong, just F you completely. There's not even the opportunity for us to have a conversation.

Do you have any of those people in your life right now or not in your life right now? People that you will never talk to ever again?

Yeah. People I work with, that's really it. People you work with? I have the same five guys that I've known since high school. Those are my friends. Everybody else is just kind of like super cool.

What I'm saying, are there any people, though, that have done you wrong that you say, I'll never talk to ever again?

Yes.

And you will never allow them to ever be in your good graces ever again?

Why would I allow that person back into my life to harm me again?

Well, how do you know they're going to harm you again?

Because they've done it before.

If they harmed you once, does that mean they're always going to harm you twice?

There's always the possibility of it. And I'm not going to put myself up for it.

I worry when you get into a relationship with somebody that you'll want and done them. You'll end the relationship over one thing.

I worry for people who forgive people who hurt them over and over and over again and keep that cycle going.

Wow. Well, what if it was, what if your dad wronged you? If your dad wronged you in such a way.

But you say that like it's so crazy for a parent to do that. And you and I both know one of the people I'm talking about is my mom.

But your mom did it numerous times. So, but I'm saying if your dad, your dad is the love of your life. You love that man.

Well, phrasing, guys. Right.

He's the love of my life, too. I love that guy. He's an amazing dad.

But I believe that because y'all have these tendencies together. I'm like, they're a little touchy-feely.

What if he has a bad moment? Here's the thing, I think. I think that life is, again, I think life is too short. And I'm not saying, and Chelsea, by the way, is more so on your guys' side than she is on my side on this one. because she gets mad at me for letting people who've done very bad things back in. But I look at it as, you know what? I'm not going to die with a hard heart. You know what I mean?

Neither am I. You're forgiving. You're just not choosing to continue.

Hey, so my comment is I agree with Kevin. If you do me wrong or do something to hurt me or my family, I will act like you no longer exist. It's just done. Because once that trust is gone, it's gone. Oh, for sure. I've had things happen with people that I was friends with forever, and once it's done, it's done. They say, oh, you cut me out of your life. Yep, because you handed me the scissors. Done. I love that. You handed me the scissors. Ooh.

Oh, sorry. I'm at work, so I'm listening for my boss, and that's coming where I'm at. No worries. So I have a friend that I was close with for eight years. We fell out because of my daughter's father. I didn't know he started, like, he went and told her stories, and she just ghosted me. We ended up connecting back. I had a daughter, so, you know, she was like aunt. Well, then we fell out again, probably about four years later. Well, we just like steadily coming back into each other's lives again. So, Kev, listen, just go in the room, okay? And just let her handle it. She'll come and tell you all this to you later. But just walk in the room when you see her friend there.

No, I came right in. I said, hi. And then I never said anything else the entire time.
