00:03:52 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 7:

Good morning and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. It is so good to have you guys here with us today. I think today might be my last day that I can wear... Oh no, I thought this would be the last day to wear shorts and then I just looked at the extended forecast. We'll be cooler through the weekend, but next week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, temperatures are going to be in the mid-70s again. This is like the most amazing fall weather we've ever had in our lives. Good morning, welcome to the show We got a good one for you today Five Lies Tell Your Moms coming up Second date update, but I know all you care about Is winning Taylor Swift tickets And your next shot to win Happens at 7.45 this morning The contest It's 13 times To see Taylor 13 songs There are 13 songs in there believe it i've seen it i looked at the wave files and this morning we want to get you to indianapolis if you can correctly tell us those songs in the order

00:05:00 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 4:

they appear, you will be going to see Taylor Swift in Indy. Get ready for that. Good morning to Shannon back with us this morning. Good morning. We got to hear about your chaperoning Lucy's field trip, so we're going to do that this morning. You guys don't look like fifth graders. You're chaperoning. We're chaperoning. Yeah, but our mentality

00:05:20 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 2:

is the same as the fifth graders. That's true.

00:05:23 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 4:

I want to know, because you've chaperoned before, haven't you?

00:05:27 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but I mean, this was like 8 a.m until 8 p.m yeah all days all the all the hours of all the days i got to chaperone like

00:05:36 - 00:06:06 | Speaker 4:

three or four of the different things including an overnight in mackinaw yeah uh the trip to new york city and uh i the one of the one of the i think it was like science center or one of the ones that we went to downtown and i will tell you the the long ones like this you at the end realize how good your kids are and when i say that when you see other kids you realize how good your kids are this is so right yeah like oh i don't think i'm that bad of a parent yeah and also just a

00:06:06 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 3:

shout out to all the moms who do like a fifth grade camp type of thing or mackinac or whatever you should be allowed to door dash wine because we really contemplated it we did not we we stayed

00:06:17 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 4:

uh the one field trip that we did up in mackinac we stayed in mackinac city at that uh the motel that's right there before you get to the bridge where the doors open to the outside. And Todd Bartis was one of the dads that we were chaperoning with. Shout out Todd. And I said to Todd, I go, do you think they'll notice if you run across the street? Because there's like that gas station liquor store type thing. I'm like, man, we got to get at least some roadies or something like that.

00:06:46 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 3:

Is it bad for them if you bring your own? You can't.

00:06:50 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 4:

I mean, they're not checking the bags.

00:06:52 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 3:

No, but they would...

00:06:53 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 4:

They'll smell it on you. They would know. You'd have to definitely be drinking vodka because you couldn't do whiskey or bourbon. They'll smell that on you.

00:07:01 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 2:

Do you want Joe at an event where the adults were drinking while they were supposed to be terrible? You drink at night when everyone sleeps. Would you be okay with that? A night sleep. Joe is sleeping away.

00:07:10 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 4:

So it's funny. I understand. The New York one that we did, we took the kids, the kids that were in the theater group, we took them to, this was for Jacob, to New York to go to see Broadway plays. So fun. And they took us to an Italian restaurant before the last play that we were going to see, which was Wicked, and they let us drink. They let us order wine and everything like that. Really? Yeah. I remember Mr. Direline giving us the evil eye, but I thought that that was actually fun. It was all moms. I was thinking I was the only dad, or maybe there was like one or two other dads that were chaperoning. Oh, that's why he let y'all drink. He was trying to get lucky. We did. You know, they say.

00:07:44 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 5:

Mr. Direline, watch out for that guy.

00:07:46 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. It's Mojo in the morning show. It's good to have everybody here with us today. Um, Megan, uh, and, and I, I'm hoping that I'm not one of these ones, but, uh, do guys judge us for what we eat? Uh, is the topic that we're going to do right now.

00:08:02 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. And I'm looking for blatant honesty on this one from men because you know what? I give my unsolicited opinion all the time. I need this back because I want to know if this is true. I don't want sugarcoating here. When you see a woman eating at a restaurant, are you judging her for what she's eating? Because I had a guy eye my plate when I went to dinner the other night. And he was looking. I had ordered a steak and Brussels sprouts. I was treating myself. And he looked at my steak, right? And he said, wow, that whole thing for you? Wow. And I actually said it or you thought his eyes said it? No, actually said it.

00:08:43 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you don't say that. That's bad.

00:08:44 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 2:

Actually came up to me and said that whole thing for you. and i was genuinely so hungry it was my first meal of the day yeah and i by the way okay not to get too specific but i'm actually really mad about this it was an eight ounce steak that's not a huge no it's not and it wasn't like he was being funny like small steak like all of that is for you i can't believe you got such a big thing and it was a small meal he genuinely meant it because the side of brussels sprouts that i got was supposed to be like a shareable appetizer but I didn't want potatoes. I wanted vegetables and that was the only

00:09:18 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 4:

option. What kind of steak? What cut was it? Was it a filet? She wanted to have a piece of my meat.

00:09:25 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 2:

So it's even smaller.

00:09:26 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 3:

Because there's no like a bone to make it look bigger.

00:09:29 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 2:

And there was like a plate of Brussels sprouts and said all that for you and then kind of walked away. Like who says that?

00:09:37 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 4:

Well that guy was a jerk. Was he saying it to be mean or saying it to be flirty?

00:09:42 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 5:

Originally that's what I thought. she can handle her meat like is that the direction he was going same which is why i laughed yeah and

00:09:49 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

talked back to him and then he walked away to go talk to his buddies oh so like you didn't flirt you just said something rude and walked away and then i sat there and was like well you ruined

00:10:00 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 7:

Oh, I hope you still eat the whole thing. I felt uncomfortable because then I kept going, well, is everybody else going, like looking at my food and going, is this a lot of food for one person? Because I was sitting by myself at the bar. So I was like, oh, everybody here is now looking at what I'm eating.

00:10:15 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 5:

Wow. So that's when I feel like I get smart assy and I'm like, yes, and I'm actually going to order dessert too. Yeah, right.

00:10:21 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 3:

Cheers.

00:10:22 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 7:

I got so uncomfortable.

00:10:23 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 3:

um do when you guys go on dates and you're with you know you're with a date do you order differently if you're with somebody that you're worried is going to be judging you well yeah

00:10:34 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 7:

because of stuff like this like normally like i hate getting a salad on a first date because everybody's like oh you got a salad on your first date are you worried about what they're going to

00:10:43 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 3:

think yes because stuff like this happens yeah i don't like it i don't like a salad on the first

00:10:47 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 2:

date because it's messy like i think that i mean honestly because i i've been on a few days where girls only order salads and you just look hungry like you look pitiful over there like i know you

00:10:56 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 7:

want more than just this salad yes and no if i get a chicken caesar that's my meal if i'm getting

00:11:01 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 3:

like a light like merry salad no i'm hungry by the way when i have have uh been out i always think that when you have a chicken caesar salad that you're not going to be kissing that night because that chicken that caesar dressing does make your breath smell fish yeah i don't care kiss me yeah you're okay with it what's going on as long as you give me a taste of your salad yeah i mean we got whoa i didn't really didn't mean it that way but uh can you believe that madison that a guy would say

00:11:37 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 1:

that to megan yeah i had a guy this past week where we had a convo about our concerns and if We wanted to continue dating and it'd be a relationship. And my concern with him was like political differences. His concern with me was that I occasionally ate girl dinners. So it was like random bits of meals, like a handful of grapes or bread or ice cream and had that for dinner.

00:11:59 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 3:

You're kidding me. So he didn't, he didn't, you're okay. So you guys politically didn't agree on things. That was kind of your thing that you got with this guy's only thing he could pick out was that you were somebody that eats girl dinners.

00:12:12 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:12:12 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

00:12:13 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 6:

See, this is why I now feel more uncomfortable eating around men.

00:12:18 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 2:

That couldn't be it, though. Like, unless he's some type of doctor or a personal trainer, that was an excuse. It had to be. Does he have any kind of career like that?

00:12:27 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 1:

No.

00:12:27 - 00:12:38 | Speaker 3:

No. I don't believe that. Although, I got to be honest with you. I'm not one that likes girl dinners. And, like, if that was going to be my future where all we were going to eat were girl dinners, I don't know if I'm going to be enjoying that that much.

00:12:39 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 6:

I don't know, bro. Make your own meal, then.

00:12:40 - 00:12:52 | Speaker 3:

Well, I agree. But then here's the thing, though, when you guys do girl dinners, you guys do girl dinners, then it's like we can never agree upon, hey, where do you want to go or what do you want to do? Like, that's always a hard thing.

00:12:52 - 00:12:56 | Speaker 5:

No, girl dinner specifically, we're picking out the random foods that are left over. Slice cucumber.

00:12:56 - 00:13:03 | Speaker 3:

No, I get that. But I don't enjoy it. So it's like, what am I going to do? I have to fend for myself every single night.

00:13:03 - 00:13:07 | Speaker 7:

You say that as a man who doesn't DoorDash five days a week. Believe me. I understand.

00:13:08 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 3:

But I'd like to eat together. But Rob, what's going on, Rob?

00:13:11 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 4:

Not too much. If a lady's eating healthy, eating a steak, eating Brussels sprouts, everything like that,

00:13:17 - 00:13:19 | Speaker 7:

she's one for me. She's got a healthy appetite.

00:13:19 - 00:13:20 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:13:20 - 00:13:24 | Speaker 7:

See, you said healthy appetite, and that to me says oink, oink, girl.

00:13:25 - 00:13:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. At first, I thought Rob was meaning healthy. She's got protein and vegetables. Healthy appetite might not be the thing to say at the end, though, Rob. Oink, oink. What's up, Haley? Hi.

00:13:38 - 00:13:41 | Speaker 4:

Hi. I'm a long-time listener. First-time caller. Hey there.

00:13:41 - 00:14:00 | Speaker 3:

turn your radio down turn your turn your radio down you can still hear the last caller i don't want to confuse you um hayley what do you think about this about the guy just randomly walking up to megan and talking about her eating a big piece of meat and vegetables yeah so i think it's

00:14:00 - 00:14:23 | Speaker 4:

really weird i personally would feel uncomfortable finishing like eating my food but when i am on a first date i prefer like i wouldn't eat a burger or something along those lines because i feel i do i feel weird about it and then my but my boyfriend now like we've been together for a year and some change and he tells me all the time how sexy he thinks it is that i eat whatever i

00:14:23 - 00:14:35 | Speaker 7:

want okay but what is it about a first date where you're like i'm not allowed to use fingers for my eating or like no like i want something seems so like unattractive what do you guys order on

00:14:35 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 4:

first dates what's your first date go-to like okay personally i would order a steak i could care less like yeah i don't know i want a steak but i wouldn't order like a burger or something like i would do like a chicken caesar wrap just something that's not too messy yeah i guess i get it because the burger could be all over your face i have to do a fork and knife food yeah okay yeah exactly yeah what was terrifying

00:15:00 - 00:15:16 | Speaker 6:

was when wes and i went out on our like first actual date where we ate because the first time we met we went out for coffee but the first date where we had food we decided to share a few things the anxiety of going i don't want to be the one who eats more of a certain something than him yes

00:15:16 - 00:15:22 | Speaker 5:

yes it's that was for real so uncomfortable but i'm more of like a salmon rice vegetable

00:15:22 - 00:15:52 | Speaker 3:

okay that's like a great first date yeah i always loved taking girls to uh olive garden that's where Chelsea and I went on our very first date, and we would do all-you-can-eat breadsticks and salad, and then they had all-you-can-eat pasta on, like, Tuesdays. Sign me up. And honestly, that's when I said to myself, I'm like, I'm marrying this Italian girl, you know? Any girl knows how to put her pasta together, but I don't think you should ever worry about that. I don't think you should ever, but you should never walk up to a random stranger and do that, you know?

00:15:53 - 00:15:56 | Speaker 5:

And then not flirt. He thought he was funny. That's why he went back to his boys.

00:15:56 - 00:15:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. You know what I mean?

00:15:58 - 00:15:59 | Speaker 5:

Let me tell you what I did.

00:16:01 - 00:16:03 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the morning. How smart are you?

00:16:04 - 00:16:10 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the mornings backing the day. We have to go back in time. Where we give you a bunch of events and you tell us what year it happened.

00:16:11 - 00:16:25 | Speaker 3:

Who are the Patriots playing in this year? Seattle Seahawks. Okay, so the Patriots playing the Seattle Seahawks. Tom Brady reacts to Malcolm Butler's interception on the one yard line. You remember that? They should have ran the ball in.

00:16:25 - 00:16:26 | Speaker 4:

Give it to B-Smoke.

00:16:28 - 00:16:30 | Speaker 3:

He was excited.

00:16:31 - 00:16:35 | Unknown:

Oh, my God. We did it, Josh. We did it.

00:16:36 - 00:16:41 | Speaker 3:

That was Super Bowl 50. Josh Gad was in Adam Sandler's movie Pixels.

00:16:41 - 00:16:47 | Speaker 4:

You maggots. You little girl maggots. Whatever the hell the female form of maggot is.

00:16:47 - 00:16:48 | Speaker 3:

Magina?

00:16:48 - 00:16:57 | Speaker 4:

You Magina. When you Magina poop your pants, you're going to be thinking of me in your pants. You know what I mean.

All right. All in the same year, these three clues. This was the year that Tom Brady reacted to the interception that was thrown by Russell Wilson on the goal line during Super Bowl 50. Josh Gad was in the Adam Sandler movie Pixels in this year. You maggots.

00:18:10 - 00:18:15 | Speaker 4:

You little girl maggots. Whatever the hell the female form of maggot is. Magina? You Magina.

00:18:16 - 00:18:22 | Speaker 3:

00:19:26 - 00:19:28 | Speaker 3:

Megan did a spectacular job filling in for Megan.

00:19:28 - 00:19:31 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I knew she would. It's incredible. She always does.

00:19:31 - 00:19:37 | Speaker 3:

It was so dirty, Sammy. Was it? Or like filthy? Oh, my God. Like room writers. We needed a blacklight. It was.

00:19:38 - 00:19:39 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

00:19:39 - 00:19:40 | Speaker 3:

Unreal.

00:19:40 - 00:19:40 | Speaker 5:

Oh, dude.

00:19:41 - 00:19:49 | Speaker 6:

It's so loud. I was going like the stuffed blue cheese olives dirty. and you went Room Raiders. Room Raiders, dude. Great reference.

00:19:50 - 00:19:50 | Speaker 5:

Damn.

00:19:51 - 00:19:52 | Speaker 6:

I'm going to YouTube that later.

00:19:52 - 00:19:53 | Speaker 3:

What do you got this morning, Chan?

00:19:54 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 6:

So Mike Jeffries is in the custody of West Palm Beach, Florida Police. Do you guys know who he is?

00:20:00 - 00:20:09 | Speaker 2:

Do you remember this name? He's the former CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch. He is being accused of engaging in sex trafficking and prostitution.

00:20:09 - 00:20:18 | Speaker 4:

This morning, former Abercrombie & Fitch chief executive Mike Jeffries is free on a $10 million bond charged with coercing aspiring male models into sex acts.

00:20:19 - 00:20:33 | Speaker 1:

To anyone who thinks they can exploit and coerce others by using the so-called casting couch system, this case should serve as a warning. prepare to trade that couch for a bed in federal prison.

00:20:34 - 00:20:55 | Speaker 4:

Jeffries allegedly used his power as CEO to lure men to what prosecutors call sex events with the promise of modeling opportunities for the clothing brand that did not exist. Fifteen men have come forward claiming they were forced to sign non-disclosure agreements, wear costumes, and perform explicit sex acts for money. Also charged with the 80-year-old Jeffries, his partner and a recruiter.

00:20:55 - 00:21:05 | Speaker 1:

The defendants pressured the men to consume alcohol, Viagra, and muscle relaxants known as poppers during the sex events.

00:21:05 - 00:21:11 | Speaker 4:

One former model says he was flown from Los Angeles to a party at Jeffrey's Estate on Long Island, New York in 2011.

00:21:12 - 00:21:33 | Speaker 5:

I was told that there could be some things that were not your normal interview. However, this is your chance. I walked into a scene that would make most people extremely uncomfortable

00:21:33 - 00:21:45 | Speaker 2:

it was awful by the way Mike Jeffries was booted from Abercrombie in 2014 so if you're a fan of the story he's not involved anymore it's just a gross story

00:21:45 - 00:21:58 | Speaker 3:

it's wild the story kind of broke it towards the end of the show yesterday and you know that it's going to be probably like a ditty situation where more and more people will come forward 16 counts as of

00:21:58 - 00:22:52 | Speaker 2:

right now but i'm i'm sure that number is going to drastically increase and he's out on bond yeah that's a little ankle monitor like that's gonna stop him country singer zach bryan announced his breakup from brianna chicken fry on his instagram yesterday i was kind of shocked at this one um told her that way too yeah so he wrote on his ig stories i respect and love her with every ounce of my heart. I've had an incredibly hard year personally, struggled through some pretty severe things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go our different ways. I am not perfect and never will be. It's all over TikTok. He cheated on her. So that was not a secret. But shortly after he made that announcement, Brianna had a message of her own for fans. And she said she was blindsided by the announcement. Obviously, she was aware that they had broken up, but they had not chatted about breaking that news publicly.

00:22:53 - 00:23:47 | Speaker 6:

How can you give someone everything and, like, love them so unconditionally? Like, through stuff that you shouldn't. Because you just love them and you want them. Like, you see the good in them. Like, how can you... Oh, this is so embarrassing. But I don't give a... How can you give every ounce of yourself to someone and then be discarded of? We broke up yesterday, so I wasn't ready to do anything publicly. And now I'm just getting like a bajillion freaking texts. I wanted to just handle this as a human first. Brianna

00:23:47 - 00:23:54 | Speaker 3:

If I was like a Morgan Wallen I'd sweep her up off her sheet and I would just say I know, she's hot

00:23:54 - 00:24:14 | Speaker 7:

She is so funny and so hot I mean, I'm not entirely surprised by the situation Zach posted an almost identical apology publicly on Twitter for his last relationship was actually a marriage and he cheated so it's kind of weird that he's posting another public statement which looks very similar to what he wrote last time

00:24:14 - 00:24:18 | Speaker 2:

I wonder how much she'll regret this relationship with the way that she treated her friends during all of it.

00:24:19 - 00:24:35 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? Why is she bad to her friends? Oh, very publicly on her podcast. I got to get on the Zach Bryan train. I haven't been. All my friends went to that concert. It was like, I'm like, I don't know one of his songs at all. I kind of got on the Morgan Wallen train like so late. Maybe I need to get on the Zach Bryan train.

00:24:35 - 00:24:38 | Speaker 7:

His music's fantastic, but somebody needs to monitor his Twitter.

00:24:38 - 00:24:39 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? Yeah.

00:24:39 - 00:24:44 | Speaker 7:

He just posts anything, says anything he wants. Well, the rumor is he has a problem.

00:24:45 - 00:24:47 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? Like alcohol problem or something? Yeah.

00:24:47 - 00:24:52 | Speaker 7:

Which is more reason to have someone be helping him with his public image. No, absolutely.

00:24:53 - 00:25:21 | Speaker 2:

That's a driving fraud. And lastly, we might, might be getting some new music from Britney Spears. She's reportedly making some new stuff To be included in the soundtrack For her upcoming biopic I thought she wasn't really on board with this thing But then I heard this And I'm told she's going to be very, very heavily involved In the overall process And will also re-record some of her older songs To fit the biopic's vibe So if you're a Britney fan Just kind of be on the lookout for that

00:25:21 - 00:25:26 | Speaker 3:

I'm good at that, I'd like to do that I just hope she doesn't know any more of those crazy Instagram posts

00:25:26 - 00:25:39 | Speaker 2:

Marrying herself I just want her in the foyer in the foyer. I love her in the foyer. We're the knives. For all of today's Dirty Catch-Up on the Podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MildredMorning.com.

00:25:40 - 00:25:53 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Now this song's going to appear

00:35:34 - 00:35:35 | Speaker 1:

Did he take your phone?

00:35:36 - 00:35:50 | Speaker 2:

Well, he saw me Snapchatting while I was driving. Oh, God. So, I told him that I was FaceTiming you because I was lost.

00:35:51 - 00:35:54 | Speaker 1:

Is he going to call me? Is he going to call me?

00:35:54 - 00:36:25 | Speaker 2:

00:37:14 - 00:37:15 | Speaker 1:

00:37:15 - 00:37:17 | Speaker 3:

00:37:55 - 00:38:00 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I don't know about the social media shenanigans. No, but she was doing

00:38:00 - 00:38:11 | Speaker 3:

something legit. She said that she was trying to FaceTime you and that you are her mom and that you get lonely if you don't talk to her and that you kind of have some, you know, there's some issues there.

00:38:11 - 00:38:24 | Speaker 1:

I love my daughter and she's a good kid. She's a great kid. She's an honor student up at Central. I just got, we just got her that car. Her birthday's in a couple weeks. Oh, my. It's going to be 21.

00:38:24 - 00:38:24 | Speaker 3:

Oh, man.

00:38:25 - 00:38:26 | Speaker 1:

I'm sick to my stomach.

00:38:26 - 00:38:27 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I'm sure you are.

00:38:28 - 00:38:30 | Speaker 1:

She's a good kid. I mean, she's doing an internship.

00:38:30 - 00:38:35 | Speaker 3:

She works two jobs. Yeah. Well, we're going to, here's what we're going to do. We're going to, we're going to let her off then.

00:38:35 - 00:38:36 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

00:38:37 - 00:38:38 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, we're going to let her off.

00:38:39 - 00:38:41 | Speaker 1:

Honest to God, sir. I mean, she really is a good kid.

00:38:41 - 00:38:45 | Speaker 3:

She seems like a good kid. She'd never lie. She wouldn't lie about this, right?

00:38:45 - 00:38:50 | Speaker 1:

No. Well, oh, my God, my heart's beating. I'm sick in my stomach.

00:38:50 - 00:39:02 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Well, listen, we're going to do this. We're going to let her off as long as you make a promise. I promise. Promise that you're not going to kill her for having you on Mojo in the Morning's Five Lies to Tell Your Mom.

00:39:03 - 00:39:08 | Speaker 1:

Are you kidding me? Am I on the air?

00:39:08 - 00:39:10 | Speaker 3:

You're on the radio right now, Mom.

00:39:10 - 00:39:15 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Mom. Oh, my God. Julie, I'm going to kill you.

00:39:15 - 00:39:16 | Speaker 3:

Why are you whispering?

00:39:17 - 00:39:22 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Send me a word. I'm sorry, Mom.

00:39:22 - 00:39:25 | Speaker 3:

And you would never lie to a police officer, would you?

00:39:25 - 00:39:30 | Speaker 1:

No, you know, I wouldn't, but I'm going to strangle her. I don't know how I got me into that. I'm going to strangle her.

00:39:31 - 00:39:40 | Speaker 3:

All right. Well, listen, we love you, Mom. Oh, tell her I love her, too. She's right there. Here. She's right here in the police car. Well, not in the police car. I mean, she's on the other phone line. Say it to her.

00:39:40 - 00:39:48 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Hey, I wanted to win you a prize, though. Thank God this is not true. Julia.

00:39:49 - 00:39:51 | Speaker 3:

I am going to kill you.

00:39:52 - 00:39:53 | Speaker 2:

I'm sorry.

00:39:54 - 00:39:55 | Speaker 3:

We love you, Mom.

00:39:55 - 00:40:03 | Speaker 2:

All right. Love you, too. Bye-bye. It's Mojo in the Morning. Five lies to tell your mother.

00:40:05 - 00:40:21 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning Show. Good to have this morning Shannon back in studio with us after chaperoning for Lucy's field trip, which it was a two-day field trip. I like two-day field trips.

00:40:21 - 00:40:25 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it was fifth grade camp, so it was big. I still remember going to fifth grade camp.

00:40:25 - 00:40:30 | Speaker 3:

Fifth grade camp, where do you go in the Detroit area to camp? Where's the place?

00:40:30 - 00:40:43 | Speaker 2:

So this was, I want to shout it out because we go there for Girl Scout camp tour. We did Camp Copenaconic in Fenton. Okay. Yeah, shout out to our camp counselor, Dean, who was fantastic for two days dealing with all of us.

00:40:43 - 00:40:47 | Speaker 3:

How many kids are there total? And then how many are you chaperoning?

00:40:47 - 00:40:54 | Speaker 2:

So I think there were like 80 plus kids, if I remember correctly. We had 17. I had 17 in my group.

00:40:54 - 00:40:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh my gosh.

00:40:55 - 00:41:17 | Speaker 2:

It's you by yourself, or was there another mom with you? No, it's you, it was myself, and three other moms. Oh, wow. So there were four of us to the 17th. 17 fifth graders, let me tell you, I love my daughter. I love her friends. I'm fifth grader-ed out. And they were, for the most part, and I'm not just saying this to sugarcoat, they were all pretty good. I mean, normal, like, you know, things that happened, they were pretty good.

00:41:17 - 00:41:22 | Speaker 3:

Are the girls boy crazy, and the boys girl crazy? What are they?

00:41:22 - 00:41:32 | Speaker 2:

I mean, not really. They kind of just, you know, like the boys stuck with the boys and the girls stuck with the girls. Okay. Yeah.

00:41:32 - 00:41:50 | Speaker 3:

All right. Because it's funny. I think back to when I was in the fifth grade and I think the fifth grade, one of those things that you always wanted to go on the field trips because the field trips is where you could actually be assigned to be with people that you wanted to be assigned with. I was always in the group that I didn't have one friend in the group.

00:41:50 - 00:41:50 | Speaker 2:

Oh.

00:41:50 - 00:41:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Like they would always, they separated us. separated the uh the guys that were the the troublemakers yeah it is so interesting first

00:41:59 - 00:42:09 | Speaker 2:

off i'm so appreciative that you guys let me out of here for two days to be able to do this because it was it it meant a ton to lucy and i will be forever grateful because i will never forget

00:42:09 - 00:42:13 | Speaker 3:

those two days all right you're gonna be picking up the slack for us yeah i got some extra work

00:42:13 - 00:43:42 | Speaker 2:

um but there was a moment where and it was so accidental how it happened i had to discipline and loose in front of everybody so we're sitting in this little teeny teeny tiny very warm cabin that smelled like reptiles because that's what they were doing was learning about reptiles and like passing these snakes and lizards and turtles and things around in a circle and the the camp counselor dean who i just mentioned who was in charge of us kept telling the kids you have to talk with quiet voices because the animals get really scared obviously they're used to being handled by kids but they still get really scared and the kids were excited and this was like right before dinner and so everybody was like bouncing off the wall and they were being so loud and they had been asked several times to be quiet be quiet be quiet some of the other parents and finally i was like you guys we need to listen to dean and be quiet and lucy looked at me and she goes geez mom you don't have to be such a karen and my immediate knee jerk response was to say to her very tersely lucy grace and everybody got really quiet and looked at me then they did that they're like oh your middle name's grace you got the middle name and she her eyes got so wide she looked at me and i was like oh my gosh

00:43:42 - 00:43:42 | Unknown:

I'm so sorry.

00:43:43 - 00:43:48 | Speaker 2:

Like, I realized what I did was like, you know, big no-no in front of friends.

00:43:48 - 00:43:57 | Speaker 3:

Felony. A mom felonies. Felonies. When you said you got to be quiet like that. I said it to everybody. It scared me that just saying that, that was a little like.

00:43:57 - 00:44:10 | Speaker 2:

Because they were being so loud. And truly, they had been asked multiple times. And I was like, you guys, Dean's asking you to be quiet. We all need to be quiet. And you don't want anybody to get bit by any of these animals they take in the world.

00:44:10 - 00:44:12 | Speaker 1:

We don't. We don't. That would be bad.

00:44:12 - 00:44:23 | Speaker 2:

Not funny at all. So I'm like, just, you know, be good listeners. But the funny part was she handed it right back to me in front of everybody. And she goes, Shannon Nicole.

00:44:24 - 00:44:35 | Speaker 1:

After I said Lucy Grace to her, I was like, oh, you little. I have one thing to say, and that's good luck. Because she's like 11, 10, 10. Yeah, good luck.

00:44:35 - 00:44:55 | Speaker 3:

Um, did, did you ever want your parents to chaperone? Because I never wanted my parents to ever chaperone. Like I never wanted that to happen. And I, I think that there are, there are certain kids that want your parents to chaperone because it's kind of fun. And then there are certain kids that they're like, I do not, I'm embarrassed by my parents. I don't want them there.

00:44:55 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 1:

Dude, I wanted Mrs. Blaisdell full, full name. Shout out to you.

00:45:00 - 00:45:16 | Speaker 3:

you were iconic you were the mom everybody wanted she baked goods that she would bring every time she chaperoned i did bring candy good baker yeah carson blaze out your mom i can't imagine what life was like with her cooking at home because oh i wanted her to be my mom so bad

00:45:16 - 00:45:55 | Speaker 2:

um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 i got a couple of things to throw out there i want to know if your parent ever you know uh chaperoned and did you know were they ever getting in trouble or did you ever have any issues on the field trip? Also, were there any parents that were the wild and out parents? Are there any of those parents that got crazy? Because you hear the story sometimes on the overnight field trips where the parents get nuts, and they get a little crazy with each other. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. We're going to call Shannon Karen Nicole instead of Shannon Nicole. Erica, what's going on? Hi.

00:45:56 - 00:46:11 | Speaker 4:

Hey, guys. I just wanted to say, Shannon, And she deserved that, that church response, because she shouldn't have been disrespectful in front of the kids by calling you a Karen like that. So don't apologize for your reaction, because especially when she handed it back to you, she was even further disrespectful.

00:46:12 - 00:46:23 | Speaker 3:

Well, I should have just said to her privately, like, who do that? No, no, don't walk back. Don't walk back. Because she embarrassed you in front of the other kids by calling you a Karen. Oh, I mean, I don't care.

00:46:23 - 00:46:37 | Speaker 2:

You know what you need to do? That's when you look over at Sally or whoever the lady is that's chaperoning with you and go, hey, handle that kid. I don't know who that kid is. I don't know that kid. I have no idea. My son's over in that other group over there. There were.

00:46:38 - 00:46:51 | Speaker 3:

Like, you try so hard to be, like, really, like, kind and loving, you know, to all these kids. But I said to one of my really good friends who was a chaperone with me, Christy, I was like, I know I'm not supposed to think this, but I want to trunchbull some of these kids. Like, so bad.

00:46:51 - 00:46:59 | Speaker 2:

Jessica what's going on it's mojo in the morning we're talking about when your parents are

00:46:59 - 00:47:47 | Speaker 7:

chaperoning uh the field trips what's up hi actually so my dad it wasn't like a chaperone but um my dad was my teacher for freshman year in high school and we've always just like butted heads and one day he kicked me out of class oh boy and was like well you better not go anywhere I know where you live. So I was like, well, where am I going to go? So I just had to sit outside the classroom, and I was just so embarrassed. And then all the time, we would get in, like, these little fights, and I'd be like, well, I'm going to go home and tell mom on you for what you just said in class. And he's like, ooh, I'm so scared of that. Or any time in time, well, he would just always threaten to, like, kick me out or do something. It just really embarrassed me in front of people. And it would bring up very embarrassing stories.

00:47:47 - 00:47:55 | Speaker 2:

I couldn't imagine, like, my parent being my teacher or the principal or something. What's happening, Cindy? Hi, it's Mojo in the morning.

00:47:55 - 00:48:19 | Speaker 5:

Hi. Hi, good morning, everyone. Morning. My son, all the kids in the class used to fight to come to be with me because on my van I had the small TV. So we would have movies and snacks on the way to the field trip or wherever we were going. And if we went to the park, I was the only parent who knew how to put worms on hooks and take off fishing. Oh, okay.

00:48:19 - 00:48:23 | Speaker 3:

We're not allowed to drive them anymore. Like, everything has to be done through the bus.

00:48:24 - 00:48:24 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah.

00:48:24 - 00:48:28 | Speaker 3:

Well, they had the buses depending on where we went to.

00:48:28 - 00:48:30 | Speaker 5:

But, yeah, we ended up doing the driving, too.

00:48:30 - 00:48:35 | Speaker 2:

Could you imagine if they said at this fifth grade camp, hey, Shannon, put a worm on a hook?

00:48:36 - 00:48:44 | Speaker 3:

I actually know how to do that. Do you? Yeah, I love doing that. I like fishing stuff. Come on. Really? Yeah, my friend Andrea taught me how to do all that. She's a boy mom, and so I just learned from her.

00:48:44 - 00:48:45 | Speaker 2:

I want to witness it.

00:48:46 - 00:48:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:48:46 - 00:48:57 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Nick? Hi, how are you doing? We're good. Shannon, by the way, is chaperoning all of us this morning. If you listened to yesterday's show, it was a little out of control. What's going on?

00:48:58 - 00:49:00 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you better watch yourself. It seems like she knows how to handle it.

00:49:01 - 00:49:02 | Speaker 2:

Oh, man, I'm telling you.

00:49:02 - 00:49:28 | Speaker 1:

I honestly completely agree with what Shannon did. I coach my son's flag football team, and I honestly can say that kids today are thriving on parents being too afraid to say anything. My son will get so out of control. Last night at practice, they started getting super mouthy, and they don't take it seriously. So I got stern in my voice one time, and just seeing all these boys jump and look up at me was hilarious.

00:49:29 - 00:49:44 | Speaker 2:

I think you make them run bleachers. You do that like once or twice, and coach, you'll be fine. What's up, Crystal? hi good morning good morning crystal your dad was always the chaperone always i think through all

00:49:44 - 00:49:55 | Speaker 6:

of my elementary school kindergarten to sixth grade he chaperoned all but one field trip and got recognized at our banquet in sixth grade oh that's so cute that's awesome uh that same thing

00:49:55 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 2:

cassie same situation you loved having your dad there and your dad loved those kids

00:50:00 - 00:50:28 | Speaker 1:

kids huh absolutely um also first time long time um but yeah my dad he became dad for everyone um everyone always loved him chaperoning the teachers always loved him um and so much so that my daughter he now chaperones all of her grandpa literally just came down home yesterday and said i know when my first field trip is we gotta tell baggio oh that's cool shannon were

00:50:28 - 00:50:41 | Speaker 7:

there a lot of dads that chaperoned there were uh four dads i think total three or four dads total it was mostly moms it's always mostly moms any cute dads um that's an odd question just asking

00:50:41 - 00:50:57 | Speaker 2:

just asking what's what's going on whitney hi hey yeah my senior trip we went to six flags my mom carried all of our cigarettes for us they didn't get your back in because they needed some chaperones Oh, that's so funny.

00:50:57 - 00:51:09 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, we did, didn't we? This place was out of control. The cigarette. Yeah, for sure. I love it. Misfit Victor, you chaperoned your kids' field trips. I can't believe they would allow you to chaperone one of those.

00:51:09 - 00:51:40 | Speaker 5:

Let me tell you something. I'm chaperoning something tonight, too, but the first time I ever did a chaperone, I went to the Kids' Hands-On Museum in Ann Arbor. Yeah. Sun's Glass. They put me in charge of eight kids. I came home. My wife goes, how was it? I go, I would have rather carried bricks for 12 hours than do this with these kids. They don't pay teachers enough for what they have to go through. But tonight, we're leaving. I'm chaperoning a Washington, D.C. trip. Oh, my God.

00:51:40 - 00:51:46 | Speaker 7:

Can I tell you something? My mom did that, and that was like my favorite thing in the world to have her there. That's big.

00:51:48 - 00:52:03 | Speaker 5:

I'm looking at the rules. Like, when you get there at 6 in the morning, then we're going to Gettysburg and walking, like, 83 miles. You get back to the hotel room, and these kids are under lockdown. Like, they're not allowed to leave the room after 8 p.m.

00:52:03 - 00:52:05 | Speaker 7:

They taped us in, I remember.

00:52:05 - 00:52:11 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, they taped the doors. Yeah, because they don't want you in there. Victor, I need to get a report from you and see how it is. I need to know how.

00:52:11 - 00:52:13 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'm sure you'll see me on the news somewhere.

00:52:16 - 00:52:31 | Speaker 4:

You thought the January 6th insurrection was big. misfit victor chaperoning a dc trip is going to get crazy what's going what's going on b oh my voice is disguised with your voices hi how are you b i'm good how are you good you want to be

00:52:31 - 00:52:51 | Speaker 3:

voices guys yeah what's going on so i was a chaperoning fifth grade camp um for my son and it was a week-long camp actually and a married mom and a married dad wound up hooking up baking cookies in the sugar shack

00:52:51 - 00:53:07 | Speaker 4:

what wait hold on stop for a second because your voices guys it's hard to hear you you were chaperoning a field trip and one of the other dads and mom chaperoning ended up hooking up with each other on the field trip yeah where was the field trip to

00:53:07 - 00:53:12 | Speaker 3:

we were um at overnight winter camp way up north

00:53:12 - 00:53:24 | Speaker 4:

oh my gosh and this has become a scandal like did it cause for a breakup of a relationship or did nobody know about it at home oh yeah no it is uh this was

00:53:24 - 00:53:45 | Speaker 3:

quite some time ago now and the two are actually married oh and um it was huge scandal at the time so yes it was uh quite uh quite an ordeal wow that's cool chaperones were we knew what was kind of happening because they didn't do anything to help support the rest of the chaperones other

00:53:46 - 00:53:53 | Speaker 4:

They need chaperones for the chaperones. One last call because Lydia says this is a good one, too. Wendy, you there?

00:53:54 - 00:53:55 | Speaker 6:

Yes, I'm here.

00:53:55 - 00:54:00 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Wendy. We're talking about Shannon coming back from chaperoning Lucy's fifth grade camp field trip. What's up?

00:54:01 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 6:

All right. So my parents were very involved. They went to all the field trips and all that. And then in high school, they needed chaperones for the homecoming dance that the student council would put on. so the parents had a meeting before and they were told okay you're going to need to check the bathrooms for smokers and go outside make sure no one's drinking so my mom would knock on the bathroom door and announce that she was coming in so the girls could put everything away tell them but i don't want to get anyone in trouble to put stuff away then my dad got tired of standing around while everyone was dancing so he went out there and started dancing with everybody oh no and the principal had to tell him that you know you're not welcome back he got fired as a chaperone yeah so we were yeah they were fired and then they would they would totally warn the kids because my mom then the punch bowl we had to work the punch bowl and the dessert table my mom would come and say you girls go have a good time i got

00:55:00 - 00:55:06 | Speaker 2:

this go out and party oh my god the punch bowl had something in it i'm sure oh i don't know but

00:55:06 - 00:55:14 | Speaker 5:

yeah that's why dad was on the dance floor yeah right mojo in the mornings dirty on the 30 all

00:55:14 - 00:55:18 | Speaker 2:

right shannon with what's trending this morning in the dirty on the 30s well eminem introducing

00:55:18 - 00:55:30 | Speaker 5:

former president barack obama on stage while appearing at a kamala rally in town last night Detroit. What up, though?

00:55:34 - 00:56:05 | Speaker 6:

So, look, I wrote down a few things I wanted to say. I love you, too. Thank you. I'm here tonight for a couple of important reasons. As most of you know, the city of Detroit and the whole state of Michigan mean a lot to me. And going into this election, the spotlight is on us more than ever. And I think it's important to use your voice. So I'm encouraging everybody to get out and vote, please.

00:56:07 - 00:56:17 | Speaker 5:

After being introduced, the former president began his speech by quoting Eminem's song. This one right here. And he did a pretty dang good job.

00:56:17 - 00:56:31 | Speaker 6:

This supports a future for this country where these freedoms and many others will be protected and upheld. And here to tell you much more about that, President Barack Obama.

00:56:35 - 00:57:05 | Speaker 3:

So I don't usually get nervous. But I was feeling some kind of way following Eminem. Now notice, my palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy. Bomb it on my sweater already Mom's spaghetti Cook Obama I'm nervous but on the surface I look calm and ready To drop bombs but I keep bombing Come on man Obama

00:57:05 - 00:57:16 | Speaker 4:

God he is the greatest Obama is a long leg He goes I love me some M&M They don't make him like Obama Coolest president by far we've ever had

00:57:16 - 00:58:42 | Speaker 5:

Obama pimps white women and black women The latest The latest ditty dirty this morning. He is now facing a civil lawsuit from a guy who alleges that he sexually assaulted him at a party in 2022. So pretty recently, before a professional athlete intervened. The man who filed under the alias of John Doe alleged this incident occurred during a party in L.A. Again, just two years ago. And a little bit of background info on this guy because it's important. He is the owner of a family business that specializes in renting luxury cars and jewelry, okay? And he said he was invited to the party by Diddy, who was a frequent client of his company. When he got there, he noticed a ton of high-profile guests but was instructed by Diddy to meet him in his office for a private chat. And he was like, we've done business together. I'm sure this has something to do with the business that we exchanged back and forth. Well, instead, he immediately realized that Diddy was drunk and acting super weird. Diddy then, and I'm going to read it exactly from the suit, removed his pants and exposed his genitals, grabbed his own genitals, and squeezed them in a rough and sexual manner. According to the lawsuit, the situation escalated until an unnamed professional athlete entered Diddy's office, intervened, and the assault ended. Would love to know who it was.

00:58:42 - 00:58:43 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, name that person.

00:58:44 - 00:58:48 | Speaker 2:

Do we know what sport? Are they trying to figure that out?

00:58:48 - 00:58:56 | Speaker 4:

I don't. He must have knew what was going down in that office, though, because why else would he be there? We saw my man's going in the back and was like, nah, let me intervene.

00:58:56 - 00:59:02 | Speaker 2:

But I wonder if he doesn't want his name released because he doesn't want everybody to know that he was at these parties. I know.

00:59:03 - 00:59:04 | Speaker 4:

I totally get what you're saying.

00:59:05 - 00:59:18 | Speaker 5:

Somewhat of a hero in that situation. LeBron James and his eldest son, Bronny, became the first dad-son duo to take the court together in NBA history last night during the Lakers' season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

00:59:19 - 00:59:26 | Speaker 1:

History tonight. The first father-son duo to play together in an NBA game.

00:59:28 - 00:59:40 | Speaker 5:

LeBron was in the starting lineup, needed to wait until eight minutes into the second quarter for Bronny to make his appearance. But once the pair checked in, they got a standing ovation, and they were actually miked up in the moments before that happened.

00:59:42 - 00:59:48 | Speaker 3:

You see the intensity, right? Just play carefree, though. You worry about mistakes, just go out and play hard.

00:59:49 - 00:59:52 | Speaker 5:

Lakers won the game 110-103.

00:59:52 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 2:

Did you see him say, he told in the post-game interview, we should probably get that audio, this is really good. He said to them, he goes, I missed so many.

01:00:00 - 01:00:38 | Speaker 1:

of Bronny's events over the years because of the NBA, and he was never going to miss this opportunity to be able to spend time with him now that he's in the NBA. And then also at the game was Ken Griffey Jr. and Sr., which was awesome to see that happen because they did it in baseball. And did you see the little stunt that he pulled on Bronny before the game? He filled Bronny's car up with a bunch of cereal, And so when Bronny opened up his door, cereal fell out of it, and he actually left Bronny a note saying, don't be late for the game. And it was literally kind of a cool viral moment.

01:00:38 - 01:00:38 | Speaker 2:

It's funny that I would not be happy.

01:00:39 - 01:00:42 | Speaker 1:

I think it was a commercial, right, for 90s.

01:00:42 - 01:00:43 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay, okay, okay.

01:00:43 - 01:00:43 | Speaker 1:

It was neat.

01:00:43 - 01:01:20 | Speaker 2:

And lastly, you might have noticed this new trend, I guess, on social media, particularly with celebrities. They're posing for photos while sitting on the toilet. My friends and I used to do this in college. I don't know why, but it was when you went into our bathroom at our house. It was all five of us sitting in a bar toilet somewhere. Why? I have no idea. But Kim Kardashian became the latest celebrity to embrace this trend when she kept the door open after pulling down her leather pants and smiling for somebody's iPhone. Body language experts say celebrities in particular are doing this and jumping on the bandwagon for this trend to make them seem more relatable.

01:01:20 - 01:01:21 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh.

01:01:21 - 01:01:26 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Everybody poops. Yeah. I'll do it in the stall here at iHeart Detroit.

01:01:26 - 01:01:29 | Speaker 1:

Well, is that going to be a trend? I'm wondering if KP is going to ask everybody to do that.

01:01:29 - 01:01:46 | Speaker 2:

Her butt is out. Oh, you see the sides of her booty for sure. What other celebrities have done this? I don't know. I've only seen hers. I want to make a collage in a little post-it. For all of today's Dirty, you can check out the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com. Make sure Zach's in the middle of that.

01:01:47 - 01:01:49 | Speaker 1:

01:01:52 - 01:01:54 | Unknown:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:01:54 - 01:02:54 | Speaker 1:

All right, it is the Mojo in the Morning show, home of the War of the Roses. We do that on Tuesdays and Thursdays here on the Mojo in the Morning show. I want to talk a little Halloween. I want to ask a question, and then I'll give you some tickets to come to our party. I want to talk about couples' costumes, because I have a theory of couples' costumes. And the reason why is Chelsea and I are supposed to go to a Halloween party. I've got a very, very busy weekend. So we've got our thing on Friday. I've got one on Saturday. And Chelsea said, hey, I've got an idea for a couples' costume. that I don't want to get you too upset with, but I'll get you your parts for this thing and what you have to do for Saturday. And I'm like, ugh. And every year that I've ever done a couple's costume, why is it that the guy always looks like the dork in the thing or the guy always has to be the one that puts on countless amounts of makeup or prosthetics or whatever the deal is, and the woman's a princess? It's always like, I'm Beast and she's the beauty or something.

01:02:54 - 01:02:58 | Speaker 2:

like that you want to know why why because she did all the planning and all the shopping is that

01:02:58 - 01:04:29 | Speaker 1:

what it is all i gotta do is plan it out and i'll be fine yes actually i would love to hear what you would do uh i would uh like uh i would like to be a bed and i'd like her to be laying up that is kind of a good one isn't it um so i want to talk about couples costumes and i want to talk about a couple of different things because we were talking about this and then she had this idea And it also brought up this. One of our friends wants to do a couple's costume for the same party, but does not want to go with her spouse as the couple because she wants to go with another one of the husbands because he is perfectly built for the costume that they're going to do. She sounds like she's trying to swing. Well, that's what I was wondering. I was wondering, is there any listeners of ours? Because I've never heard this before. I've never heard of people going to a costume party in a couple's costume, but you went with somebody else's significant other. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I got two things I want to throw out there. Has a couple's costume ever caused a huge fight for you? So I want to know if that's the case. And has anybody ever gone in a Halloween party couple's costume with somebody that was not their spouse? that's not like you're trying to fulfill a fantasy well their their situation was he they need her husband's not tall enough which is kind of a slam her husband's not tall enough and the guy that she's going to be going with is like six five or so so she's using him as the opposites that they're

01:04:29 - 01:04:35 | Speaker 2:

doing so that's what i'm saying why is she so committed to this costume i don't know i don't

01:04:35 - 01:04:42 | Speaker 1:

know she want to smash six five yeah by the way there's something about spirit halloween store that just makes me want to go inside. I don't know what it is.

01:04:42 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 2:

I am the opposite. I see one and I'm like, get me a second. Far away. Really? Yeah. Because I, you know why? I think I've been in one one time. Oh. And I don't like all the, like the. Jump scares? Yes. The thing. I don't know what the hell you call it. Animatronics. Animatronics.

01:05:00 - 01:05:25 | Speaker 1:

things in there i don't like that at all see i love it i love my my favorite thing going to a spirit halloween costume store is like a woman walking by a louis vuitton even if you don't want to go into the louis vuitton for a woman you end up in the louis vuitton for some reason spirit halloween is like that for me if i see it in the strip mall i'm going in it i'm going in just to see what they got i don't think i've ever been in one of those really i always see them

01:05:25 - 01:05:39 | Speaker 2:

they all orange, but I'm typically an Amazon person. Oh, really? Like when Josiah was young, I think I probably went to Walmart or something like that, but... You've never gone into a Spirit Halloween costume? No, I've always seen them. It's the whole orange sign, but Amazon got me together. Oh, I love it.

01:05:39 - 01:05:57 | Speaker 3:

It's funny, for our party on Friday, Wes was like, let's do, you know, we should do a couple of costumes. Is Wes coming? I think he's gonna come. Okay. If I can get childcare for the kids, my babysitter, just have something else happen, but I already had a costume idea, And I was like, oh, but I really like my costume. I don't want to change it.

01:05:57 - 01:05:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you have one for you. Okay.

01:05:59 - 01:06:05 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. And he's like, well, can you help me think of something? He thought of a great couple's costume, but I'm like, oh, I like my idea too.

01:06:06 - 01:06:18 | Speaker 1:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Text is 95500. If you want to come to our party on Friday and want to come there, you can give us a call and we'll get you into the party.

01:06:18 - 01:06:28 | Speaker 5:

I hand made a costume for my ex when we were dating, and it was the best day of his life. He loved it. It was Anakin and Padme from Star Wars.

01:06:28 - 01:06:29 | Unknown:

Padme?

01:06:29 - 01:06:29 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:06:29 - 01:06:31 | Speaker 5:

That's the fat one? Mojo, you don't know what that is?

01:06:31 - 01:06:38 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. No, I don't. I know Anakin. I know Anakin. My son, Joe, is a nerd. But I don't know who Padme is.

01:06:38 - 01:06:47 | Speaker 6:

It's Padme. It was... Padme. The daddy. What's her face? She's like a huge... The daddy, yeah. No, she's like Natalie Portman. That's her face. Oh, okay. Oh, yeah. You were thinking of Joplin.

01:06:47 - 01:06:55 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I went to Joanne's, and I bought all the fabric, and I literally sewed him together a Anakin little cake.

01:06:55 - 01:06:58 | Speaker 1:

You are so talented. Seriously. Thank you. Laura, what's up?

01:06:59 - 01:07:00 | Speaker 4:

Nothing much. Good morning.

01:07:00 - 01:07:05 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. What's going on? You wanted to comment on the couples that don't go together in a couple's costume?

01:07:06 - 01:07:17 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. To me, it sounds like she's swinging or is interested in swinging because if she's looking at the build of the other guy's body in my head, that's like she's checking him out. Yeah. He's lifting him up and down, you know?

01:07:18 - 01:07:38 | Speaker 1:

Well, I don't know. It's going to be hard for them to do that because the other, you know, significance are going to be there. But you're right, though. I don't know if I would tell a husband that is shorter, hey, you're too short for the costume. And I'm going with him. It's crazy. You know what I mean? Like, that would be a bad idea. Nick, you want to come to our party that we're having on Friday?

01:07:39 - 01:07:39 | Unknown:

Absolutely.

01:07:40 - 01:07:41 | Speaker 1:

You're in. Congratulations.

01:07:42 - 01:07:42 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:07:43 - 01:08:54 | Speaker 1:

Friday, we're going to do this at Eloise Asylum. I like the venue of this because Eloise Asylum is an old mental hospital, and it's now a haunted scare. It's got two different scares in there. It's, like, crazy. I mean, it will take you forever to go through the thing. It's well worth the money. But we're having a party in a party tent right outside. It's going to be great. They're putting it all together for us. I'm, like, literally excited for this. It's going to be a good party. I'm super excited. And actually, it could be haunted, too, if it's all right. Well, that's the thing. For real. I mean, come on, right? We hope it is. We want you to get your money's worth. Hold on one second. Angie, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. We were talking about the couple school. I lost you. She made her husband dress up as a dummy. See that? She couldn't wait. What is that? Why do you why do people they always make them like I had to do. I remember the one that Chelsea and I did was filter and unfiltered. Yeah. And Chelsea looked like all gorgeous. Like she looked like she didn't even put a costume on. She's like all gorgeous dressed up. And I had to put on women's jeans, tight women's jeans with a tight shirt and a long blonde wig and a bunch of makeup on my face. And I'm like, you know what? This is not fun. Can I be honest though? Yes.

01:08:55 - 01:08:56 | Speaker 6:

Very hot.

01:08:56 - 01:08:58 | Speaker 1:

Oh, thank you. Chelsea or me? Which one?

01:08:58 - 01:09:00 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I meant, you know, I meant Chelsea.

01:09:00 - 01:09:02 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Andrea, what's going on? Hi.

01:09:03 - 01:09:05 | Speaker 4:

Hi, I want to go to the party.

01:09:05 - 01:09:07 | Speaker 1:

Well, then we got to get you to the party. You're coming.

01:09:08 - 01:09:10 | Speaker 4:

Yay. Thank you so much.

01:09:10 - 01:09:12 | Speaker 1:

Andrea, will you do a couple's costume with me?

01:09:13 - 01:09:20 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to come with my brother, so no. How tall are you? Come on. Just so we can mark it down for costume purposes. I'm 5'5".

01:09:20 - 01:09:29 | Speaker 1:

5'5". All right. I like it. 5'5 with your brother. Is it weird to do a couple's costume with your brother? You can't do a couple's costume with your brother. Yes, you can't. No, you can't.

01:09:29 - 01:09:31 | Speaker 5:

You can't do a couple's costume.

01:09:31 - 01:09:31 | Speaker 6:

Oh, not a...

01:09:31 - 01:09:33 | Speaker 2:

Okay, yeah. I'm just thinking two people.

01:09:33 - 01:09:44 | Speaker 6:

But couples, to me, is like, you don't have to be... In a relationship? Yeah. It just means it's a paired... It goes with another person because you could do a pair costume.

01:09:44 - 01:09:50 | Speaker 1:

You can't do a couple's costume if it's a romantic kind of couple's costume. You can't be a couple's costume.

01:09:50 - 01:09:53 | Speaker 5:

But not on Nick again on LinkedIn. He wants to tell you something.

01:09:53 - 01:10:18 | Speaker 1:

Okay, hold on a second. Hold on. Let me pick up Nick. What's up, Nick? Hi. Hey, I'll do a costume with you there, boss. All right. Let's do it. Come on. You got ideas, Nick? I don't. We can brainstorm, though. Let's do it. I'm thinking that here's what I'm thinking. I'm thinking that I'm going to be Caitlin Clark, and I want you to be what's the Angel Reese, the pain in the ass that plays for the Chicago Sky. Yes.

01:10:18 - 01:10:24 | Speaker 2:

That would be you then. At first, I thought you were going to say Caitlin's dinner.

01:10:24 - 01:10:30 | Speaker 1:

I tried to get Kev to dress up, and I was going to be Harvey Weinstein. He was going to be P. Diddy. And he wouldn't do the time.

01:10:31 - 01:10:34 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no. I'm not doing that. Come on. Why can we not? It's not going to happen.

01:10:34 - 01:10:35 | Speaker 1:

That's, come on. Seriously.

01:10:36 - 01:10:37 | Speaker 4:

The worst idea.

01:10:38 - 01:10:40 | Speaker 1:

We got to be edgy. We got to be edgy. What's up, Dante?

01:10:40 - 01:10:41 | Speaker 4:

Not that edgy.

01:10:42 - 01:10:59 | Speaker 1:

Dante, what's going on? How you doing, Mojo? What's happening? You want to come to our party? Yes, sir. Dante's in. Yeah, Dante. All right. Dante, where are you from? Toledo. Oh, you're going to love this place. Eloise Asylum. I don't know. Does Toledo have a lot of haunted places that people go to at Halloween time? Yeah. This is a good-

01:10:59 - 01:11:00 | Speaker 4:

Not really.

01:11:00 - 01:11:11 | Speaker 1:

Yes, we do. Yes, we do. I heard of this haunted place. It's called Scott Mix House. It's Megan's dad. By the cleaner now. Yeah, by the cleaners is what you say?

01:11:12 - 01:11:15 | Speaker 4:

I said it used to be downtown, but it's a lot cleaner now. Okay.

01:11:16 - 01:11:24 | Speaker 1:

Here's the deal. Eloise Asylum is actually not that bad of a drive for people from Toledo, so it would be a good place to go to. Maddie, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

01:11:24 - 01:11:32 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. Freshman year of college, I made mine and my boyfriend's costumes I was at a kissing booth and he was Cupid

01:11:32 - 01:11:35 | Speaker 1:

I think that's cute I like that

01:11:35 - 01:11:40 | Speaker 4:

it was really cute I liked it we were both broke college students but you know we made it do it was fun

01:11:40 - 01:11:43 | Speaker 1:

no I like that that's cool are you guys doing anything for Halloween?

01:11:44 - 01:11:48 | Speaker 4:

I'm not with him anymore but I'm not I have no plans so I'd love to come to the party

01:11:48 - 01:11:51 | Speaker 1:

alright you're coming to the party we're gonna get you there you got some friends that you can take?

01:11:52 - 01:11:53 | Speaker 4:

absolutely

01:11:53 - 01:11:55 | Speaker 1:

alright congratulations we're gonna set you up alright

01:11:55 - 01:11:57 | Speaker 4:

thank you so much

01:11:57 - 01:12:12 | Speaker 1:

All right, hold on one second, and we'll get your information from you, and we'll have a great time. Who else do I got here? Anybody else? Bria from Rochester. What a beautiful name, Bria. You're into the party. Hey, who are you bringing with you to our party?

01:12:14 - 01:12:14 | Speaker 3:

My boyfriend.

01:12:15 - 01:12:16 | Speaker 1:

Okay, what's his name?

01:12:17 - 01:12:18 | Speaker 3:

His name's Hayden.

01:12:19 - 01:12:24 | Speaker 1:

He better come up with something good, or you're going to come up with it. The women always come up with costumes.

01:12:24 - 01:12:27 | Speaker 3:

He's kind of lame and doesn't want to, but I'm going to force him now.

01:12:27 - 01:12:33 | Speaker 1:

No, that's going to be fun. Poor guy's going to be there. He'll be wearing something. Tell him I'll see him at Spirit Halloween, okay?

01:12:34 - 01:12:34 | Unknown:

Okay.

01:12:35 - 01:12:39 | Speaker 1:

All right. Hold on one second. I like this one. Sarah, what are you going to come as to our party?

01:12:40 - 01:12:44 | Speaker 4:

Hey. Hi, guys. I have a Teletubby costume.

01:12:44 - 01:12:45 | Speaker 1:

Which one?

01:12:46 - 01:12:49 | Speaker 4:

The green one. I forgot the name of it.

01:12:49 - 01:12:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you can't do the green one. The green one's been canceled. I don't know if you heard about the green one was touching kids and stuff. What? It's not good, yeah. His name is Dipsy.

01:12:59 - 01:13:00 | Speaker 4:

I guess a ladybug will do.

01:13:01 - 01:13:02 | Speaker 1:

I'm just kidding.

01:13:02 - 01:13:05 | Speaker 4:

Tinky Winky's clear. No, I think one of them, there was a scam.

01:13:05 - 01:13:06 | Speaker 1:

No, I'm joking. Really?

01:13:06 - 01:13:15 | Speaker 4:

I think it was the purple one. I think it was the purple one, too. Oh, Tinky Winky's not clear. No, for real. That's a real story. Google, I remember this.

01:13:15 - 01:13:50 | Speaker 1:

I heard Tinky Winky was at one of Diddy's parties. You've got to be careful of that. Oh, my gosh. Hey, follow us. Instagram, on Facebook, also TikTok. Search Mojo in the Morning, but also Channel 955, which is our Detroit home base station, you can look at all the War of the Roses, including the last War of the Roses that we just busted a cheater with. Kev was doing something yesterday that I loved how you called it. He was doing something that I've seen more so the girls on the show do than I've seen the guys on the show do, and that is you went out, you bought a new clothing item.

01:13:51 - 01:13:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:13:51 - 01:13:54 | Speaker 1:

To do what with it? I test drove it. You test drove it. Yeah.

01:13:54 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 2:

So I'm an online shopper. It means I wore it with the tag still on it just to see if I liked it before I committed to it fully. I hate people who do this. Why? Because why am I going to buy something that has your funk all up in it? Well, I mean, that's on the company. That ain't on me. So I'm an online shopper, and when I do most of my online shopping, obviously I can't, like, try on the clothes, but I think I got a good eye for what could fit my body type and what size I need. so i bought a whole bunch of stuff from zara the jacket come in and i tried on and the shoulders aren't right i'm like i kind of like the color i like how i fit it had a cool like double zipper thing where you can like zip it all the way up and then had an extra zipper so you can like have the zippers meet in the middle and do some cool looks like that i'm like bet i'm gonna get this fit off this is a fire jacket but these shoulders i'm not fully committed so i kind of did that thing where i hang it up in the closet and i kind of look at it for a couple of days like is this the one maybe try it back on i'm like you know what we can't just figure this out in closed doors we got to do a test drive in the streets

01:15:00 - 01:15:04 | Speaker 3:

So I kept the tag on and wore it all day yesterday.

01:15:04 - 01:15:12 | Speaker 4:

I wore it to work. I wore it to Buffalo Wild Wings. Had a drink. Wait, wait, wait. You were even wearing it to the Mexican place that we ate at yesterday. I have a photo.

01:15:12 - 01:15:25 | Speaker 3:

I have a photo. It smells like tackle. Little chimichanga in the seams. You're a jerk. Why? I can't be the only one that does this. No, you're not. You've never done this?

01:15:25 - 01:15:26 | Speaker 6:

Shannon Murphy does this all the time.

01:15:26 - 01:16:11 | Speaker 5:

No, that is not true. I have not done this all the time. I am currently in the process of test driving a sweater, long sweater duster, I believe they call it. I am not going to say from which lovely store at 12 Look Small, but here's my problem with it. It was expensive, and I'm like, okay, I feel like I could wear this with a lot of things, but it was a one-size-fits-all thing. I'm only five feet tall. It consumed me a little bit. I felt like I was drowning in it. The only problem is it's been hanging up in my closet. I only wore it for the show for one day, but now it's on video. It's on video. So if the person who works at the store listens to the show, they've seen it on our Instagram. And I feel like I would be busted.

01:16:12 - 01:16:42 | Speaker 4:

I've never heard it called a test drive. I love that term. I do too. But wait, what is it called? It is called something. In retail, they do have a name for it. Well, kind of. They do have a name for it, which is wild because I know people that do this all the time. like they'll actually never buy anything they wear something and then they go take it back which is a lot of effort but i know people that do it with shoes and usually shoes you can't do it with but they'll tape the bottoms of their shoes yeah yeah yeah so they're clean yeah i mean truly it

01:16:42 - 01:16:59 | Speaker 5:

it's it's not a cool thing to do i hate when i order from like you know an online plate like revolve for example and you take something out of the bag and it's got like deodorant and crap all over and it smells. I'm like, somebody actually wore this to their prom or a wedding and then returned it. See, but that type of stuff, I blame

01:16:59 - 01:17:09 | Speaker 3:

the organization. I blame the company on that, that it shouldn't be available for purchase at that point. If you can see the deodorant stains, if you can see the rocks in the soles of the shoes. They can't lose money off of it. Why? Because you

01:17:09 - 01:17:15 | Speaker 6:

are a thief. No, that's part of company. Like, being a company is lost. Losing money. Yeah. Oh, well,

01:17:15 - 01:17:21 | Speaker 4:

that's great. That's great. And that's why we have all these, you know, places closing down nowadays because we got thieves. That's the risk.

01:17:21 - 01:17:32 | Speaker 6:

But don't at that and don't give the refund. Don't issue the refund. That's what I would know. Say that there's a five to seven day process and we have to approve the materials before we take it back.

01:17:32 - 01:17:42 | Speaker 4:

Well, stores do that now. They actually will do like a time on when you can do it. Real quick, I want to tell you the funniest thing was we were at that, what was the Mexican restaurant that we ate at?

01:17:42 - 01:17:45 | Speaker 3:

Jose Tacos. Jose Tacos. Or Joe's. I don't know how they went.

01:17:45 - 01:18:13 | Speaker 4:

It's right by our new, and it's a husband and wife that own it and they're great people. But we were by our new studios yesterday And Kevin was across the table We had a huge table of all of us And then Kevin was across the table And I go, hey man, you just got salsa all over your jacket You should have seen the look on his face No! He's like, I just bought this jacket What's up, Katie? How you doing? How are you? Good Kev test drove a new jacket yesterday Do you ever do this?

01:18:14 - 01:18:29 | Speaker 2:

So I'm a photography graduate And so for all of our photo shoots, anything for fashion, I am guilty of buying things, keeping the receipts, keeping the tags on it, and then returning it that week or the following day.

01:18:30 - 01:18:45 | Speaker 4:

What stores need to make the tags more apparent, don't you think? You know how they'll do that where they'll put the tags on the clothes, like on the sleeve, and they'll have it in there so you can't...

01:18:45 - 01:18:47 | Speaker 2:

On the outside instead of the inside.

01:18:47 - 01:18:50 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, like you can't hide it. I'm shocked that they don't do that just for this reasoning.

01:18:51 - 01:18:58 | Speaker 2:

Can I also say first time, long time? Nice to talk to you, Katie.

01:18:58 - 01:18:59 | Speaker 4:

Appreciate you.

01:18:59 - 01:19:10 | Speaker 3:

Thank you. You're absolutely right, though, because if the tag was like under the armpit area where you obviously can't hide that, the only way that that's coming off is if you take it off. This was on the inside.

01:19:10 - 01:19:14 | Speaker 5:

Make it stick out of the chest. They do the armpit a lot more now, I've noticed.

01:19:14 - 01:19:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's a sure way to get somebody to commit. What did you think of Kev's jacket, guys?

01:19:19 - 01:19:20 | Speaker 4:

Did you guys like it yesterday?

01:19:21 - 01:19:23 | Speaker 3:

I'm so silent in here.

01:19:23 - 01:19:30 | Speaker 1:

What's going on? I like it. I thought it looked good. All right. See what you're doing. Megan was wearing the exact same material. You guys look good together. I have a photo.

01:19:31 - 01:19:31 | Speaker 6:

That rare denim.

01:19:32 - 01:19:34 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I think I'm going to post that today.

01:19:34 - 01:19:40 | Speaker 6:

No, we did twin kind of weirdly together yesterday. But I told you afterwards, I was like, you take that tag off.

01:19:40 - 01:19:41 | Speaker 3:

That is a good look. Yeah.

01:19:41 - 01:19:46 | Speaker 4:

I think it was just starchy and it needed to be worn. Yeah, too high of a collar or something like that.

01:19:46 - 01:19:47 | Speaker 3:

The arm to arms. It worked out.

01:19:47 - 01:19:51 | Speaker 4:

It made it look like you had shoulder pads. You're like wearing a football uniform. What's up, Kirsten?

01:19:52 - 01:19:53 | Speaker 3:

Hello. Hey there.

01:19:56 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 1:

Hi. We grew up going to all of our family pictures.

01:20:00 - 01:20:04 | Speaker 3:

We have tags still on our shirt so our parents can return them afterwards. At the family.

01:20:06 - 01:20:08 | Speaker 5:

And Sears with the shirt from Sears.

01:20:08 - 01:20:15 | Speaker 3:

Everybody has to match. I even wanted to keep them for school, and I'm like, oh, Dars. Even mom was like, you guys are going to wreck these clothes.

01:20:17 - 01:20:18 | Speaker 4:

Melissa, what's up?

01:20:19 - 01:20:45 | Speaker 2:

So this happened to me, I think it was like three to four weeks before my wedding. I ordered these shoes from Macy's. They came in. They had someone's footprint printed on the shoe. and the sole of the shoe was black. I was like, how could they send this to someone? Yeah, like, who put that in the box and said, this is good? Yes, I was freaking out. I was like, this is three weeks before my wedding.

01:20:45 - 01:20:47 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's so stressful.

01:20:48 - 01:20:52 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, Kev doesn't care. Not my foot. Sarah, what's up?

01:20:54 - 01:21:03 | Speaker 3:

Hi, so we tag all around clothing at my job. So if I take the tags off, I can just take it to work and use our gun and put the tag back on.

01:21:04 - 01:21:14 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you have your own tagging thing. That's unbelievable. That's professional. Can you also have the little thing that cuts off the tag that makes the thing beep when I walk out of the store?

01:21:14 - 01:21:16 | Speaker 3:

No. I want one of those.

01:21:16 - 01:21:17 | Speaker 4:

I want one of those.

01:21:18 - 01:21:20 | Speaker 3:

I'm sure you can get a tag down on Amazon.

01:21:20 - 01:21:21 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh.

01:21:21 - 01:21:22 | Speaker 3:

Retag it.

01:21:22 - 01:21:30 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. You know what I actually do want? And I know this is completely off topic. I want the folding board that they have at The Gap so I can fold my shirts like they have at The Gap.

01:21:31 - 01:21:32 | Speaker 3:

Yes, we have a ton of those.

01:21:32 - 01:21:42 | Speaker 4:

Oh, those are the greatest. Hey, thank you for the call. We appreciate you. All right, take care of yourself. Oh, gosh. Tracy, what was your advice?

01:21:43 - 01:21:55 | Speaker 1:

You can, no matter where they put a tag, if you cut it close enough to the end, you can literally stick the tag back through the seam, take a lighter, melt the end, kind of curl it into a ball, let it dry, your tag's back on. She's a pro.

01:21:56 - 01:21:57 | Speaker 4:

You're a professional thief.

01:21:57 - 01:22:01 | Speaker 3:

All the girls in the room just help me. This is a crime, Tracy.

01:22:02 - 01:22:03 | Speaker 1:

Tracy. Come again.

01:22:03 - 01:22:07 | Speaker 4:

I'll meet you today at CVS. We'll loot the one in Woodward Avenue, okay?

01:22:07 - 01:22:11 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Sounds good. I'll be there. Bye, Crystal.

01:22:11 - 01:23:07 | Speaker 4:

Bye. Hey, we got to do a contest right now. Ladies and gentlemen, you're listening to the amazing M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M This is going to be a good season, and I think they're going to go in the same line of the Lions and the Tigers and the Red Wings, where they're rebuilding, and maybe we'll see the rebuild happen. If you want to go see their first game of the year against the Indiana Pacers, it's tonight at Little Caesars Arena. Tickets are available at DetroitPistons.com, or you can win them from us right now here on the show. Kev knows.

01:23:07 - 01:23:36 | Speaker 5:

That's right. So this is the first of what I hope to be a long series of Kev knows. But in light of the events that are taking place later today, as Mojo said, Pistons kicking off the season against the Indiana Pacers. A lot of energy in the building. We'll do Kev knows the Pistons. I got five questions, so we need somebody to call up who wants to answer. Five questions. If you get three right, you get tickets to the game. If you get four right, you get a signed jersey. Oh, wait a second.

01:23:36 - 01:23:40 | Speaker 4:

If you get five right, then just get five right. You get your home phone number or something? You just get five right.

01:23:40 - 01:23:42 | Speaker 5:

You just get five right. That's it. You just get five right.

01:23:42 - 01:23:57 | Speaker 4:

All right, we're going to play Kev Knows here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Would this be questions that only Pistons fans would know?

01:23:58 - 01:24:04 | Speaker 5:

Definitely. They are going to be all Pistons related. Okay. So you have to be a fan of the team. You know a little history.

01:24:05 - 01:24:24 | Speaker 4:

And for those that don't know this, if you're, you know, Rachel and you don't know, Rachel knows, or whoever's listening, Kev is the in-stadium announcer for the Pistons. He and Mason, you hear their voices prominently throughout the game, which, by the way, shout-out to Mason, who's the best in the business.

01:24:24 - 01:24:27 | Speaker 5:

I think this is his 25th year.

01:24:27 - 01:24:28 | Speaker 4:

Is it really?

01:24:28 - 01:24:34 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I think this is his 25th season. Detroit basketball. He is a legend in this industry.

01:24:34 - 01:24:41 | Speaker 4:

You're a legend, too, by the way. I appreciate that, man. That's how we found Kev. We're building. We went to Pistons games, and we're like, this guy is so damn good. We got to get him on our show.

01:24:42 - 01:24:42 | Speaker 5:

You never know who's watching.

01:24:43 - 01:24:44 | Speaker 4:

Blake, are you there?

01:24:45 - 01:24:46 | Speaker 5:

I'm here.

01:24:46 - 01:24:51 | Speaker 4:

Blake, please welcome Blake, everybody, to Kev Knows.

01:24:51 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 5:

What's up, Blake? Hey, Blake. Hi. What's up, Kev? You ready to play, my man? You know some Pistons knowledge? I know a little bit.

01:25:00 - 01:25:14 | Speaker 2:

All right, you ready? We'll see what we know. All right, three questions, you get tickets. Four questions, you get a signed jersey. You ready? Yes, sir. All right, first question. Name the starting five for the 2004 championship team. Oh, man.

01:25:15 - 01:25:26 | Speaker 1:

2004, you got Chauncey Billups, Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince, Rasheed Wallace, and Big Ben. There we go, baby.

01:25:26 - 01:25:37 | Speaker 2:

There we go. First question. Detroit basketball. In the bag. Second question. For that same team, who was the head coach and the GM?

01:25:40 - 01:25:44 | Speaker 1:

The head coach was Larry Brown.

01:25:46 - 01:26:19 | Speaker 2:

And you said and GM? Yep, the general manager. Who put the team together? Joe Dumas? There you go. Wow. This guy's good. Two for two. Fair question. This question will get him tickets to tonight's game? This question, yes, will get you tickets to tonight's game. What Pistons player has the franchise's record for playoff points? Which Pistons player has the most points? Can you give him a multiple choice? Sure. Yeah. Richard Hamilton, Isaiah Thomas, or Chauncey Billups?

01:26:21 - 01:26:23 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to go Chauncey.

01:26:24 - 01:26:31 | Speaker 2:

Nope. Oh, no. The answer is Richard Hamilton. Okay. All right. So we got two more questions.

01:26:31 - 01:26:36 | Speaker 3:

Here's the deal. Here's the deal. You still got a chance, though. You still got a chance. You got to get these next two questions right.

01:26:37 - 01:26:50 | Speaker 2:

Okay. We'll do this multiple choice as well. Which Pistons player has the most blocks in franchise history? Ben Wallace, Corliss Williamson, or Rasheed Wallace?

01:26:53 - 01:26:54 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to go with Ben Wallace.

01:26:54 - 01:27:01 | Speaker 3:

That's right, baby. All right. He's going to the game. You're coming to the game. You're coming to the game. Nice job, Blake.

01:27:01 - 01:27:14 | Speaker 2:

All right, final question. This one is really tough. Final question. This is for the signed jersey. The team hasn't always been called the Detroit Pistons. What were they originally called?

01:27:18 - 01:27:26 | Speaker 1:

Can I get multiple choice? No. Uh, nah. How about this? Call a lifeline.

01:27:27 - 01:27:29 | Speaker 3:

Call a lifeline.

01:27:30 - 01:27:32 | Speaker 1:

I'd like to call a lifeline.

01:27:32 - 01:27:33 | Speaker 3:

Call Shannon.

01:27:34 - 01:27:36 | Speaker 1:

Don't do that. That's a really bad idea.

01:27:37 - 01:27:40 | Speaker 3:

Call a lifeline. Call me.

01:27:43 - 01:27:46 | Speaker 1:

Can I call Mojo in for the question? Please. Yes.

01:27:49 - 01:27:50 | Speaker 3:

What is the question again?

01:27:52 - 01:27:54 | Speaker 2:

What was the Detroit Pistons original name?

01:27:54 - 01:27:57 | Speaker 3:

What was the Detroit Pistons' original name?

01:27:59 - 01:28:01 | Speaker 1:

Come on, Mojo. I want this signed jersey.

01:28:03 - 01:28:05 | Speaker 3:

God, I don't even know. Honestly, can you give me a hint?

01:28:05 - 01:28:06 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

01:28:07 - 01:28:21 | Speaker 3:

Give me a hint. This is terrible. No, give me a hint. Was it something? They were in Indiana. I knew that, right? I don't know. I think they were in Indiana. All right. They were like Fort Wayne, Indiana, the Fort Wayne something Pistons.

01:28:21 - 01:28:22 | Speaker 2:

Is that your final answer?

01:28:22 - 01:28:23 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

01:28:23 - 01:28:24 | Speaker 2:

Blake, are we locking that answer in?

01:28:26 - 01:28:30 | Speaker 1:

You know what? I trust him. Love it. All right.

01:28:31 - 01:28:32 | Speaker 2:

Congratulations, Blake!

01:28:33 - 01:28:33 | Speaker 1:

Yes, sir.

01:28:34 - 01:28:36 | Speaker 2:

The fourth-way Pistons. You got it. Congratulations.

01:28:37 - 01:28:38 | Speaker 1:

Yes, sir.

01:28:38 - 01:28:42 | Speaker 3:

You got the jersey. Hey, we'll see you tonight. Winner.

01:28:43 - 01:28:49 | Speaker 1:

Detroit basketball. Detroit basketball.

01:28:49 - 01:29:04 | Speaker 3:

All right, now all of you guys at the same time, give it to us. Detroit basketball. Oh, my God, you're going. Congratulations to you.

01:29:04 - 01:29:07 | Speaker 1:

Congratulations. Nice job. Thanks, everybody.

01:29:07 - 01:29:43 | Speaker 3:

By the way, that was a hard question. Sam, what's going on? Say hello, Sam, to Blake, who just won all kinds of good prizes from the Detroit Pistons. Sam's gone. Sam's gone. Don't say good. What was Sam calling for? What did Sam want? Sam said that Kev called it a kickoff, not a tipoff. Oh, did I? Hold on a second. Am I still in football mode? You are. Kev's getting fired. Kev knows nothing. Kev knows nothing. Someone's happy. Actually, can I be honest with you? Kev knows more about basketball. This guy literally is like throwing out basketball stats like crazy.

01:29:44 - 01:29:47 | Speaker 2:

We've all never misspoken ever before. That's right. Never.

01:29:47 - 01:29:51 | Speaker 3:

Have a great time, buddy. Blake, you deserve to be there. Congratulations. Hang on one second.

01:29:52 - 01:29:53 | Speaker 1:

Awesome. Appreciate it.

01:29:54 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 3:

Time now for the second date update. If you are not getting a call back after you went on a date.

01:30:00 - 01:30:02 | Speaker 1:

Second date update here on the Mojo in the Morning Show.

01:30:03 - 01:30:06 | Speaker 5:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

01:30:07 - 01:30:23 | Speaker 1:

Shayna's not getting a call back. Hey, we got to go. By the way, Shayna's in East Lansing. She is a Spartan. Go green. Go white. Yes. I love it. And wait, you're not getting a call back from somebody that you've been seeing here?

01:30:24 - 01:30:25 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:30:25 - 01:30:28 | Speaker 1:

What's the story? First off, how long have you guys been seeing each other?

01:30:28 - 01:30:37 | Speaker 3:

well we've been hooking up for like a month okay like once a week like it's really casual

01:30:37 - 01:30:49 | Speaker 1:

it's like nothing serious okay and now he's not calling you back is that make it kind of weird if you guys are all like hanging out together and you go and going out to some of the places

01:30:49 - 01:31:18 | Speaker 3:

on campus yeah i mean like it's not that he's not it's just that like it's gotten like one word responses and like he takes forever to like text me back and usually he's like blowing up my phone well it's like a situationship right yeah but I just like I have this feeling that like he's just like doing a very slow ghost like creeping out the room

01:31:18 - 01:31:22 | Speaker 4:

like he might be like seeing other people or something yeah

01:31:22 - 01:31:26 | Speaker 3:

which is like fine because like it's not serious I just don't understand

01:31:26 - 01:32:06 | Speaker 1:

like why just be honest yeah just be honest and say something all right he's on the phone with us right now his name is nate nate will you say hello to shana uh hello hello how are you why is it that every college kid sounds the same like i swear to you you sound i i thought i was picking my son luke's call up here right now hello um nate what's happening buddy what's up man nothing nothing much so shana called us up obviously you were listening on hold and wants to know are you guys cool with each other is

01:32:06 - 01:32:36 | Speaker 5:

everything okay yeah yeah we're cool man we've um we've been hanging out for like a month uh it's been going pretty well she's just been you know kind of just keeping it casual with coming over but um but you know it's it's recently gotten a little annoying um because of the fact that every time yeah every time you come over you uh you bring laundry with you and i feel like you're just coming over to do your laundry

01:32:36 - 01:32:50 | Speaker 1:

do you live do you live in an apartment or a house i do i do man but but shana lives in a dorm so shana you live in a dorm he lives in an apartment and you're using him for his uh washer

01:32:50 - 01:32:55 | Speaker 3:

and dryer well i'm just like if i'm gonna be there anyway and he already has it like what's

01:32:55 - 01:33:02 | Speaker 5:

the issue shana yeah but you seem to bring in a trash bag full of clothes oh yeah is she bringing

01:33:02 - 01:33:06 | Speaker 1:

her own detergent yeah she's bringing her own detergent okay so that's it let's go

01:33:06 - 01:33:18 | Speaker 2:

no because it's still affecting the water bill what you've got i don't think it has anything to do with the water bill or your Tide Pod. It's just not. It's weird. It's not a good look. Wait, well let's

01:33:18 - 01:33:26 | Speaker 1:

ask that question. I don't know. Let me ask that question to the listeners. It's smart. Is that if you go on a date with somebody, and I'm assuming you guys are hanging out for long times, right?

01:33:26 - 01:33:33 | Speaker 3:

You're watching. I'm going to be there for almost an entire night, so why wouldn't I multitask?

01:33:34 - 01:33:42 | Speaker 1:

Is it bad if you're just hanging out, you guys are in a relationship with each other, and they bring their laundry to do it your place?

01:33:42 - 01:33:59 | Speaker 2:

I kind of love you, Shayna, because like I said, it's smart, but I'm also like cringing for you because I don't know that I would do that right off the bat in a new relationship. That's the thing. You're after a while or in a new, even more so like in the situation ship.

01:33:59 - 01:34:09 | Speaker 4:

Like if you're staying the night, right, and you bring groceries and cook together, then you can do laundry. But when you're coming over just to hook up, you don't go, let me do a chore while I'm at it.

01:34:09 - 01:34:21 | Speaker 1:

You know what's funny is my son came home for break and you should see the bag of laundry that he brought with him. I would love for him to have a place to go do that at instead of, you know, bringing it home.

01:34:21 - 01:34:23 | Speaker 4:

He does have a place to do it. A laundromat.

01:34:24 - 01:34:24 | Speaker 1:

Like a normal person.

01:34:25 - 01:34:28 | Speaker 4:

Do that. Six floor of his dormitory.

01:34:28 - 01:34:37 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to have to stay there while my clothes are washing and I'm already staying with him so I don't understand the issue. I like that. But he's not using it, so why wouldn't I?

01:34:37 - 01:34:42 | Speaker 4:

The laundromat I use cleans your laundry, folds it, and calls you to come pick it up.

01:34:42 - 01:34:44 | Speaker 1:

Oh, what's that called?

01:34:44 - 01:34:45 | Speaker 4:

Skylar Laundromat.

01:34:45 - 01:34:48 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Hey. There you go.

01:34:48 - 01:34:54 | Speaker 4:

That takes too much time. He's probably got the full washer and dryer, too. Full size.

01:34:54 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 5:

You're crazy. I do. I do, yeah, man. But, like, it's not that it's a problem.

01:35:00 - 01:35:05 | Speaker 9:

The problem is just that I would appreciate it if she asked instead of just expecting it. Just doing it.

01:35:06 - 01:35:16 | Speaker 6:

Christina, what do you think about this second date update? Shana's bringing her laundry over to Nate's to do while they're hanging out with each other.

01:35:16 - 01:35:23 | Speaker 9:

I think there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. I don't find it weird at all. If Shana wants to come to my house, she can come to my house and do it.

01:35:24 - 01:35:31 | Speaker 8:

Okay, but let's be honest. If a guy did this, we'd be like, If the guy

01:35:31 - 01:35:39 | Speaker 6:

was making her do the laundry, definitely. By the way, have you ever thought about just having her maybe throw some of your load in there too, Nate?

01:35:40 - 01:35:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, man, but I usually do my laundry like every three weeks.

01:35:48 - 01:35:50 | Speaker 6:

Mackenzie, what's going on? You wanted to comment?

01:35:51 - 01:35:57 | Speaker 9:

Yeah, I just wanted to say that if she's over there baking cookies, why couldn't she do her laundry?

01:35:58 - 01:36:01 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. You don't work like that, y'all. I agree, too.

01:36:02 - 01:36:03 | Speaker 9:

You don't ask.

01:36:03 - 01:36:04 | Speaker 10:

You don't just show up with it.

01:36:05 - 01:36:15 | Speaker 6:

If a girl is allowing him, I was going to use a load reference, but I'm not going to do that. You already did. No, no. Move on to the next one. You're actually right.

01:36:15 - 01:36:19 | Speaker 8:

If she showed up with a tub full of dirty dishes and said, I'm just going to use your dishwasher.

01:36:20 - 01:36:23 | Speaker 6:

Well, that's different, though. Why? Nobody takes their dishes out of their house.

01:36:23 - 01:36:24 | Speaker 8:

Who takes their clothes out?

01:36:25 - 01:36:28 | Speaker 6:

People that go to laundry mats. They don't have a place to go wash dishes. His house isn't a laundry mat.

01:36:29 - 01:36:29 | Speaker 11:

Correct.

01:36:29 - 01:36:31 | Speaker 6:

Carla, what do you think?

01:36:31 - 01:36:32 | Speaker 1:

Restaurant.

01:36:32 - 01:36:35 | Speaker 11:

No. Absolutely not. No. No, no, no.

01:36:35 - 01:36:36 | Speaker 6:

No, no, no.

01:36:36 - 01:36:41 | Speaker 11:

Why? No, no, no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no.

01:36:42 - 01:36:44 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Yeah, why? She wants to know why.

01:36:46 - 01:37:01 | Speaker 10:

Because you don't show up with your laundry. I can see if they talked about it first and you said absolutely yes. But no, not just dating. No. No, no. Do your laundry before you go. I'm sorry. No, go to the Iron Man before you go. No, no, no.

01:37:01 - 01:37:11 | Speaker 6:

All right. Olivia, Olivia, what do you think? Second date update here. We've got a couple of Spartans on the phone that I don't want to see their relationship end over laundry. What are your thoughts?

01:37:12 - 01:37:21 | Speaker 8:

I actually dated a few guys in college and kept the relationship going because they had laundry in their house that they let me use. So I'm on chain aside.

01:37:21 - 01:37:27 | Speaker 6:

Okay. Wait a second. So wait, you dated a couple of guys in college, and what kept the relationship going?

01:37:28 - 01:37:30 | Speaker 9:

The access to their laundry.

01:37:30 - 01:37:37 | Speaker 6:

Oh, you just used them for their... Diabolical. That's great. That's actually kind of funny. She was really spinning, though.

01:37:37 - 01:37:40 | Speaker 7:

You're making us look bad.

01:37:42 - 01:37:43 | Speaker 6:

What's up, Ryan?

01:37:43 - 01:37:45 | Speaker 7:

No. Hey, how you guys doing? Good morning.

01:37:45 - 01:37:47 | Speaker 6:

Good morning, buddy. What's happening?

01:37:48 - 01:37:54 | Speaker 7:

Shoot, I'm kind of seeing a plot twist here. I think she's just sleeping with him to get the laundry done. I mean, could be. You never know. A lot of times.

01:37:55 - 01:37:59 | Speaker 6:

Would you have a problem with a girl using you for your laundry washer and dryer?

01:38:00 - 01:38:09 | Speaker 7:

Okay, so I would say no. But, again, like Kev said, if it was reversed, man, it would just be a whole nother situation. You're right. So I'd have to go with it. I mean, destroying this man.

01:38:10 - 01:38:19 | Speaker 8:

Okay, but you're never acting like he gets nothing out of this relationship. What is he getting? What is he getting, Shayna? We all know.

01:38:20 - 01:38:38 | Speaker 6:

Oh, so you're tricking yourself. We all know. Katie, what is he getting? He's getting a load for a load. There you go, yes. I didn't say it, but she did. See? Thank you. We appreciate it. I appreciate you listening to Dave and Chuck the Freak. We'll have a good one.

01:38:39 - 01:38:51 | Speaker 3:

This is the home of the Dirty on the 30. Throwback Throwdown. Second date update. And War of the Roses. This is Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:38:52 - 01:38:53 | Speaker 5:

All right, Shannon, what do you got in this hour's Dirty on the 30?

01:38:53 - 01:39:09 | Speaker 1:

Well, the former CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch, his name is Mike Jeffries, he got arrested and indicted yesterday for engaging in sex trafficking and prostitution. This is a huge story today.

01:39:10 - 01:39:21 | Speaker 4:

This morning, former Abercrombie & Fitch chief executive Mike Jeffries is free on a $10 million bond charged with coercing aspiring male models into sex acts to anyone who thinks they can exploit

01:39:21 - 01:39:36 | Speaker 2:

and coerce others by using the so-called casting couch system this case should serve as a warning prepare to trade that couch for a bed in federal prison jeffries allegedly used his power as ceo

01:39:36 - 01:39:58 | Speaker 4:

to lure men to what prosecutors call sex events with the promise of modeling opportunities for the clothing brand that did not exist. Fifteen men have come forward claiming they were forced to sign non-disclosure agreements, wear costumes and perform explicit sex acts for money. Also charged with the 80-year-old Jeffries, his partner and a recruiter. The defendants pressured the men

01:39:58 - 01:40:05 | Speaker 2:

to consume alcohol. Alcohol, Viagra, and muscle relaxants known as poppers during the sex events.

01:40:06 - 01:40:12 | Speaker 1:

One former model says he was flown from Los Angeles to a party at Jeffrey's Estate on Long Island, New York in 2011.

01:40:12 - 01:40:35 | Speaker 2:

I was told that there could be some things that were not your normal interview. However, this is your chance. i walked into a scene that would make most people extremely uncomfortable why is this i know this is

01:40:35 - 01:40:39 | Speaker 4:

sounds the same why is it that all these guys like this guy i just looked at what this jeffrey's

01:40:39 - 01:41:10 | Speaker 3:

guys look he looks like he's a creepy guy facts he doesn't he does i mean he's got creepy eyes but i was gonna say obviously we shouldn't judge a book by his cover but he does um he this is not unfortunately an uncommon story. I mean, we're hearing it so much right now with Diddy. We heard it with Harvey Weinstein where I can further your career. Come and hang out with me. People with power abuse it. This is time and time and time. This is so common, unfortunately.

01:41:10 - 01:41:22 | Speaker 4:

The craziest thing, though, is that he was bringing people in there and doing this and then not giving... With his partner. And not giving them the jobs. These guys all were told, hey, you do this.

01:41:22 - 01:41:35 | Speaker 3:

Not that that would make it better. That's like a common thread. That's like what the Me Too movement was about. Yeah, just a terrible story. And by the way, 16 counts right now. I guarantee that number doubles, triples over the next couple of months.

01:41:35 - 01:41:38 | Speaker 4:

I know he's not been part of Abercrombie for some time now.

01:41:38 - 01:41:38 | Speaker 3:

Since 2014.

01:41:39 - 01:41:51 | Speaker 4:

But how do you revive something after this? I know that he's not part of it now, but he was part of it then. Do people look at this and does it hurt the brand, I wonder? No, I don't think so. You don't think so? I don't think so either.

01:41:51 - 01:42:03 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I mean, he's been out for a decade. They have done a lot of work on that brand with inclusivity and diversity. Yeah. They've done a really good job, I think.

01:42:04 - 01:42:22 | Speaker 4:

But didn't some of the movies and the movie companies take a huge hit when the Harvey Weinstein came about? Like where those movies became like these epic movies became bad movies to watch? I don't know the Amber Crombie customer base if they really care about this. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? I don't know how long this will be a huge news thing.

01:42:22 - 01:43:03 | Speaker 3:

Speaking of Diddy, his kids released a joint statement, and I did want to read that for you. They posted a family photo and wrote, This past month has devastated our family. Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media. We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold on to the truth knowing it will prevail and nothing will break the strength of our family. We miss you and love you, Dad. In Related Dirty, Jennifer Lopez's ex-husband, you guys remember Ohani Noah? Yeah. He is blaming Diddy for their divorce. They were only married, I don't even know if they made it a year. It was like 97, 98.

01:43:03 - 01:43:09 | Speaker 4:

Wasn't that? I think he's a restaurant guy, if I remember correctly. Look at J-Lo in 97.

01:43:09 - 01:44:17 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, he did an interview about their breakup and he explains that when Sony came in to the picture and started paying her millions upon millions of dollars, there was Diddy, who was going to be one of the producers of several songs on her first album on the six. And he said, that's where the cheating, the lies, the separation started, because at the time he was spending most of his days in L.A. opening his restaurant. She was flying back and forth between Miami and New York working on the album, and he said that that was the crack that started it all. He also claimed that their divorce marred his career and sabotaged his chance at several jobs, and he said Diddy absolutely had something to do with that. Are we surprised? No. I'm excited. Cardi B had a message for the alleged prankster who sent child protective services to her home. She spoke about what she described as a prank call, sent CPS to her home at about 11 p.m. to check on all three of her kids. She went on Instagram live from the hospital. I don't know what she's been recovering from since Saturday, but she's been in the hospital since Saturday for some time.

01:44:17 - 01:44:36 | Speaker 5:

We're trying to take the services to come to my house, not my house, my gated mansion at 11 p.m. while my children are sleeping because there's an anonymous call that there's been going on that my kids have been getting abused and beaten are you dumb yeah obviously

01:44:36 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 3:

she's saying that is absolutely not true and lastly billy eilish taken to her instagram stories to show up on nasty leg bruise that she sustained after tripping and falling on some steps as she left the stage during her show at madison square garden on friday yesterday she re-shared a video of the fall and the fall was captioned, Billy falling down the stairs at Madison Square Garden.

01:45:00 - 01:45:10 | Speaker 5:

And she followed it up with this photo of this, like, humongous purple bruise on her thigh. Ouch. That's a big ouch.

01:45:11 - 01:45:12 | Speaker 4:

That show is good.

01:45:13 - 01:45:24 | Speaker 5:

Hey, for all of today's Dirty, you can catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MudgeInTheMorning.com. I don't think I could love you.

01:45:26 - 01:45:31 | Speaker 4:

Celebrity Dirt. Directly from the source, it's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:45:33 - 01:45:51 | Speaker 1:

All right, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Text is 95500. It is the Mojo in the Morning Show. Megan says that she smelled so bad that she moved away. Now, when you say she, you're talking about somebody else smelled so bad.

01:45:51 - 01:46:47 | Speaker 4:

No, I'm talking about myself. Really? No. So you've never smelled bad. Here's the thing. I'm like kind of a really lucky person that I am hyper aware of the way that I smell. I think Kev and Shannon both get super annoyed with me because I'm always like, do I smell okay? Do I need some perfume? Should I use some lotion? Do I need some breast strips? Like I carry all of that with me. I think when somebody needs to smell good, they come to me because they know that I'm going to have that. And I'm very, very lucky. I don't know if this is lucky or not lucky. but when i work out i don't really sweat a lot i sweat like a little little little bit but i get like really red which sucks i wish i had the ability to sweat more to cool off um but i don't really sweat when i'm working out and the other day i was at the gym and kev what is the rule for treadmills when you are at the gym i don't know i'll be going to y'all i know what it is

01:46:47 - 01:46:57 | Speaker 5:

if there is a treadmill right next to somebody but there are many other open treadmills you pick one of the many other open treadmills you don't go right next to the only person that is using a

01:46:57 - 01:47:01 | Speaker 3:

treadmill it's the urinal rule i was just about to say yeah it's the urinal that's why i asked

01:47:01 - 01:47:11 | Speaker 1:

you kevin because you're a man you should have said urinals i would have had you by the way i just went into the bathroom kevin was going to the bathroom with music blaring out of the stall

01:47:11 - 01:47:15 | Speaker 2:

it was either usually you're gonna hear that or my ass lighting up the bathroom that was crazy

01:47:15 - 01:47:22 | Speaker 1:

back to back to to megan okay so there's the boys there's the i didn't either don't don't be on

01:47:22 - 01:48:28 | Speaker 4:

don't be on the treadmill right next to me okay so i'm uh for some reason you ever smell yourself when you're working out and you're like that's that's me and that's really bad like really really bad and i don't know what had happened but it felt like i had already died and then i was just decomposing on this treadmill and i i do this thing where i walk on a treadmill but i it's all about the incline so i'm constantly adjusting the incline on there and every time i would raise my arms to change the incline i was like that's a dead animal like you are disgusting so this woman comes up to the treadmill next to me she puts it on i'm not kidding you 0.2 miles an hour and she starts walking backwards good for you girl don't know what we're achieving here but you're moving and i'm proud of you and she's there for maybe three minutes and i lift my arm to adjust the treadmill she turns around turns off the treadmill moves three over and starts her workout back over again and I went yes ma'am that is me I am nasty I smelled so bad she moved away from me

01:48:28 - 01:48:30 | Speaker 1:

embarrassing

01:48:30 - 01:48:32 | Speaker 4:

embarrassing

01:48:32 - 01:48:59 | Speaker 1:

so can you smell your own funk I smell my own funk and when I get that's why I have the two bottles of Dove Mencare Comfort Plus I've used that a few times it's delicious smelling It smells better than my body odor. But did she commit the crime or did you commit the crime? Because she did get next to you.

01:48:59 - 01:49:03 | Speaker 4:

She didn't. Oh, I was going to say. She shouldn't have been there in the first place. She's the a-hole.

01:49:05 - 01:49:08 | Speaker 5:

And am I the a-hole? She is the a-hole. You don't do that.

01:49:08 - 01:49:12 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Because that's the risk you take. Yeah. You got what was coming for you.

01:49:12 - 01:49:20 | Speaker 2:

Do people look for, like, gym buddies? Like, if you're doing bench press or you're doing something like that, obviously you may need somebody to spot you so you have, like, somebody that's there to do it.

01:49:20 - 01:49:27 | Speaker 5:

I hate that. Is treadmill kind of the same way? I don't. When I go to the gym, if I'm by myself, I want to be, I am by myself for a reason.

01:49:27 - 01:49:49 | Speaker 4:

And I assume if somebody is on the one next to you, that you guys are together. Yeah. So to be fair, my brother was on the one directly next to me on the other side. So I got sandwiched in the middle. There were like 30 open treadmills. And I was like, I hate this. Did he say you stunk? Yeah, he did. He was like, that was pretty. And he and I work out all of the time together. And he was like, I've never smelled you before. And I was like, it's bad.

01:49:49 - 01:50:00 | Speaker 1:

Can we call Brian Reeve from Planet Fitness and ask him on the rules of engagement of joining Planet Fitness, is this the only time that you can actually judge? Yeah. Is this the only time?

01:50:00 - 01:50:04 | Speaker 5:

The one judgment that you can have is somebody got to put some deodorant or something.

01:50:05 - 01:50:15 | Speaker 2:

No, there's another time you judge and it's when somebody gets up from a machine and leaves like a trail of their butt sweat or vagina sweat without cleaning. It doesn't do anything about it.

01:50:17 - 01:50:35 | Speaker 5:

844 Mojo Live, 844-665-6548. Has anybody ever said to the person that's on the treadmill directly next to them, hey, there are open treadmills? Like, do you understand? Because I would bet as a woman it feels uncomfortable if somebody especially a guy like gets on the treadmill right next to you, you know?

01:50:35 - 01:50:41 | Speaker 4:

I would hate that. I truly would. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It throws you off like your equilibrium? Like you're kind of off balance a little bit?

01:50:42 - 01:50:57 | Speaker 1:

First of all, don't talk to me when I'm working out. Especially like, I'm not lifting weights sometimes when I lift weights I'm like I'm kind of cute right now. And then there are times where I'm on the treadmill and I'm like Like talk to me when I'm kind of cute and feeling strong and not when I feel like I'm going to die.

01:50:57 - 01:51:10 | Speaker 5:

Do you also wipe off the treadmill afterwards? Because when I see people not wipe it off, I get very upset because that makes me think that I'm on a dirty treadmill. Now I need to wipe it before and after.

01:51:10 - 01:51:14 | Speaker 1:

I feel like people are going to judge me. I wipe off the things I don't touch on the machine.

01:51:14 - 01:51:15 | Speaker 5:

What do you mean?

01:51:15 - 01:51:24 | Speaker 1:

When I go on a treadmill, I very intentionally do not hold on to it. If I'm on an incline, I'm not holding myself up. I am working to stay where it is. That's how you're supposed to do it.

01:51:24 - 01:51:25 | Speaker 5:

But I can't do that.

01:51:25 - 01:51:31 | Speaker 1:

But, like, if I get off the treadmill and I don't wipe down those handlebars, people are like, that's gross. Yeah. So, like, I'll wipe them down even if I do.

01:51:31 - 01:51:39 | Speaker 5:

I think we should send Kev to a plan of fitness and have him with a megaphone for the people that don't wipe off. What's up, Craig? How you doing?

01:51:40 - 01:51:41 | Speaker 3:

Hey, how's it going?

01:51:41 - 01:51:45 | Speaker 5:

Good. What's going on? Megan was the stinky girl at the gym yesterday.

01:51:46 - 01:51:53 | Speaker 3:

Well, I was the stinky guy when I was in the Army. They used to make me run in the back of the formation because my parts would smell so bad.

01:51:53 - 01:51:55 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you were farting and running?

01:51:56 - 01:52:01 | Speaker 3:

I couldn't help it. That's where you belong. I'm on a three-mile run, you know?

01:52:03 - 01:52:08 | Speaker 5:

By the way, how did they know it was you? There's all these other guys running. Can't you just blame it on somebody else?

01:52:09 - 01:52:10 | Speaker 3:

Oh, they always knew.

01:52:11 - 01:52:31 | Speaker 5:

I always hope if I'm crop dusting that people don't look at me, but I always feel like they just know right away. Yesterday I had the get-up-off-the-couch fast thing and blew a fart, and Chelsea and I have some friends that are staying with us and I felt so bad. I was like, oh, you ever do that where you blow a fart like accidentally and you go, ooh, it's kind of,

01:52:32 - 01:52:38 | Speaker 2:

I was laughing and it came out and I was so embarrassed.

01:52:38 - 01:52:41 | Speaker 5:

You always get like, it's always like, why do you go, like afterwards. ooh,

01:52:42 - 01:52:45 | Speaker 2:

Because you surprise yourself. I know. Like you were not anticipating that fart.

01:52:45 - 01:52:46 | Speaker 5:

Like I can't believe it came out.

01:52:48 - 01:52:50 | Speaker 3:

01:53:32 - 01:53:33 | Speaker 2:

01:53:34 - 01:53:39 | Speaker 4:

I was on Snapchat while I was driving. Okay.

01:53:40 - 01:53:41 | Speaker 5:

That's not something you ever do, right?

01:53:43 - 01:53:43 | Unknown:

Right.

01:53:44 - 01:53:51 | Speaker 5:

01:53:52 - 01:53:55 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Lie number five. They want to take my license away.

Okay.

01:54:18 - 01:54:18 | Speaker 5:

Here we go.

01:54:19 - 01:54:43 | Speaker 6:

Hello? Hi. What's up? Okay, so I got pulled over. And the cop saw me on my phone.

01:54:43 - 01:54:44 | Speaker 4:

He took it?

01:54:45 - 01:54:46 | Speaker 6:

What did you say?

01:54:46 - 01:54:47 | Speaker 4:

Did he take your phone?

01:54:49 - 01:55:00 | Speaker 6:

Well, he saw me Snapchatting while I was driving. Oh, God. So I told him that...

01:55:00 - 01:55:02 | Speaker 3:

I was FaceTiming you because I was lost.

01:55:04 - 01:55:07 | Speaker 4:

Is he going to call me? Is he going to call me?

01:55:09 - 01:56:15 | Speaker 3:

Um, I don't know. Maybe, but... So I told him I was FaceTiming you because I was lost, but he wants to take my license away. I know, because I have a few... I have, like, two tickets that I never told you about. So he wants to take my license away. He wants to spend your license. What state did you get it in? What did you say? Are you joking? Are you lying right now? No, I mean, like, I was just, like, Snapchatting. I don't even know how he saw me, but I told him that I was FaceTiming you. Are you in the cop car? Julia, are you in the cop car? I mean, I'm in the back of the cop car, but do you need me to come get you or what?

01:56:18 - 01:56:20 | Speaker 4:

Julia. What?

01:56:21 - 01:56:23 | Speaker 1:

Hey, hello. Is this mom?

01:56:23 - 01:56:24 | Speaker 4:

Do you want me to come get you?

01:56:24 - 01:56:26 | Speaker 1:

Hello, is this Julia's mom?

01:56:26 - 01:56:28 | Speaker 4:

Yes, this is Julia's mom.

01:56:28 - 01:56:30 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Julia's mom. How you doing?

01:56:30 - 01:56:31 | Speaker 4:

Good. How are you?

01:56:32 - 01:56:37 | Speaker 1:

Good. This is the police officer that pulled over your daughter.

01:56:37 - 01:56:38 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

01:56:38 - 01:56:42 | Speaker 1:

Yes. She said that she was FaceTiming you. Is that true?

01:56:43 - 01:56:50 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, she was lost. She was lost. Where is she at right now, sir? What city is she in? Is she...

01:56:50 - 01:56:52 | Speaker 1:

She's in the back of my police car right now.

01:56:52 - 01:56:54 | Speaker 4:

I understand that, but what city are you in?

01:56:55 - 01:57:06 | Speaker 1:

No, you don't need to come and get her. You just vouched for her that she was actually FaceTiming you, because that was what we wanted to make sure, is that she was actually FaceTiming you and not doing some kind of social media shenanigans.

01:57:07 - 01:57:10 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I don't know about the social media shenanigans.

01:57:10 - 01:57:24 | Speaker 1:

No, but she was doing something legit. She said that she was trying to FaceTime you and that you are her mom and that you get lonely if you don't talk to her and that you kind of have some, you know, there's some issues there.

01:57:24 - 01:57:36 | Speaker 4:

I love my daughter, and she's a good kid. She's a great kid. She's an honor student up at Central. We just got her that car. Her birthday's in a couple weeks. She's going to be 21.

01:57:36 - 01:57:37 | Speaker 1:

Oh, man.

01:57:37 - 01:57:39 | Speaker 4:

I'm sick to my stomach.

01:57:39 - 01:57:40 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I'm sure you are.

01:57:40 - 01:57:43 | Speaker 4:

She's a good kid. She's doing an internship.

01:57:43 - 01:57:47 | Speaker 1:

She works two jobs. Yeah. Well, here's what we're going to do. We're going to let her off then.

01:57:48 - 01:57:49 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

01:57:49 - 01:57:51 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, we're going to let her off.

01:57:51 - 01:57:54 | Speaker 4:

Honest to God, sir. I mean, she really is a good kid.

01:57:54 - 01:57:57 | Speaker 1:

She seems like a good kid. She'd never lie. She wouldn't lie about this, right?

01:57:58 - 01:58:02 | Speaker 4:

Well, oh, my God. My heart's beating. I'm sick of my stomach.

01:58:02 - 01:58:15 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Well, listen, we're going to do this. We're going to let her off as long as you make a promise. I promise. Promise that you're not going to kill her for having you on Mojo in the Morning's Five Lies to Tell Your Mom.

01:58:15 - 01:58:17 | Speaker 2:

Are you kidding me?

01:58:19 - 01:58:20 | Speaker 4:

Am I on the air?

01:58:21 - 01:58:23 | Speaker 1:

You're on the radio right now, Mom.

01:58:23 - 01:58:28 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Mom. My God. Julie, I'm going to kill you.

01:58:28 - 01:58:29 | Speaker 1:

Why are you whispering?

01:58:30 - 01:58:34 | Speaker 2:

Send me a word. I'm sorry, Mom.

01:58:35 - 01:58:37 | Speaker 1:

And you would never lie to a police officer, would you?

01:58:37 - 01:58:40 | Speaker 2:

No, you know I wouldn't, but I'm going to strangle her.

01:58:40 - 01:58:43 | Speaker 4:

I don't know how I can't handle that. I'm going to strangle her.

01:58:43 - 01:58:53 | Speaker 1:

All right. Well, listen, we love you, Mom. Oh, tell her I love her, too. She's right there. Here. She's right here in the police car. Well, not in the police car. She's not in the other phone line. Say it to her.

01:58:53 - 01:59:00 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Hey, I wanted to win you a prize, though. Thank God this is not true.

01:59:00 - 01:59:00 | Speaker 3:

Julia.

01:59:02 - 01:59:04 | Speaker 1:

I am going to kill you.

01:59:05 - 01:59:06 | Speaker 3:

I'm sorry.

01:59:07 - 01:59:08 | Speaker 1:

We love you, Mom.

01:59:08 - 01:59:09 | Speaker 3:

All right. Love you, too. Bye-bye.

01:59:10 - 01:59:11 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the Morning.

01:59:13 - 01:59:13 | Speaker 2:

Sweet.

01:59:14 - 01:59:32 | Speaker 1:

Five lies to tell your mom. Mojo in the Morning show. It's that time of year. Actually, I think the whole, you know, year is that time of year, but it's always at this time as the deer start realizing that they're about to get hunted, that you have to beware

01:59:32 - 01:59:35 | Speaker 3:

when you're driving.

01:59:35 - 01:59:49 | Speaker 1:

You know what I hate worse than that noise? I hate the noise that happened to your husband, Wes. I just, I love deer, so all of that makes me sad. I'd rather see a bullet come between the eyes than an antler come between my eyes.

01:59:49 - 02:00:00 | Speaker 3:

front windshield when that's not really what happened it's kind of even crazier than that so we um were in alman on saturday morning for a high school cross country

02:00:00 - 02:01:27 | Speaker 2:

tree meet for my stepdaughter samantha by the way olma is such an adorable and beautiful little town um good grounds coffee company holy cow like the best coffee and donuts and whatever else i had that morning it was so so good shout out to small business she did great she came in i'm trying to think second place um she did phenomenal but it was so we so we dropped her off and then she had to be there like an hour before the race started and so wes and i were like we're gonna go into the little town and get coffee and food and on our way back to dryden high school there were it was so pretty there were all of these hot air balloons in the sky and so you know me i'm like you know trying to lean out my window to take photos of all these beautiful hot air balloons which if you follow me on instagram you saw but i'm busy doing that and we're going down this long winding road and all of a sudden Wes screams at the top of his lungs and stops the car and he was like did you just see that did you just hear that and I'm like well no because I'm taking Instagram photos of the hot air balloons like I had no idea what had happened but apparently a deer had run out into the road as we were driving realized that it was about to collide with Wes's truck turned around to go back into its home in the woods, but in the process, its antlers scraped the side of Wes's trunk and his mirror.

02:01:27 - 02:01:29 | Speaker 4:

Oh, and you couldn't hear it?

02:01:29 - 02:01:33 | Speaker 2:

That's how close it was to us. No. You guys, I was in my own dang world.

02:01:34 - 02:01:36 | Speaker 4:

You were hanging out a window just listening to the breeze, huh?

02:01:37 - 02:02:03 | Speaker 2:

But he was like, how did, I mean, I could see what had happened, but he's like, how did I, how did it, we not actually like, what kind of damage did it do though? Not a ton, but you could like, you can tell that something. Yeah. you could tell that something happened. Like a key scratching or worse than the key scratching? A little bit worse than a key scratching. That's close though. But it's like the deer knew its life was about to end and started like nope I'm not ready yet and turned around.

02:02:04 - 02:02:08 | Speaker 4:

If I was Wes I'd be cussing that deer out. I'd be like the god damn deer.

02:02:08 - 02:02:11 | Speaker 2:

Oh he felt terrible because he's like me. He loves

02:02:11 - 02:02:25 | Speaker 4:

deer. You're telling me that he's also like that? I would be like damn it. What does he drive by the way? A Dodge Ram. A Dodge Ram. I would rather have it hit the front of my thing and just obliterate the damn thing.

02:02:25 - 02:02:26 | Speaker 3:

What is wrong with you, man?

02:02:27 - 02:02:39 | Speaker 4:

You know how much money deer end up costing you? Obliterate? Do you know that if you hit a deer, it's on you. There's no, you know, with this Michigan insurance and stuff, you're screwed.

02:02:39 - 02:02:49 | Speaker 3:

I will say that's whack. I've never seen so many deer in my life before I moved out here and started working out here. You have to really drive slowly in the morning because they out here.

02:02:50 - 02:03:02 | Speaker 4:

Do they not have deer in the city of Detroit? Hell no. There's no deer in the city of Detroit. You're telling me that when we move our studios to downtown Eastern Market, I don't have to worry on the lodge of a deer jumping out at me? Never, bro. Oh, that's great.

02:03:02 - 02:03:03 | Speaker 3:

You may seem like a loose dog. That's probably it.

02:03:04 - 02:03:05 | Speaker 4:

A loose dog?

02:03:05 - 02:03:06 | Speaker 3:

Really? Yeah, that's it.

02:03:06 - 02:03:21 | Speaker 4:

I hate driving M5 on my way in in the morning because I feel like they're going to jump out at me at all times. This is going to be, I'll get to work on time. I drive slower because I'm worried about a deer jumping out. Man.

02:03:21 - 02:03:28 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, deers are scary, man. Because they could really mess your car up. Oh, my gosh. You see some of these videos, they come through the windshield sometimes.

02:03:28 - 02:03:46 | Speaker 4:

I know. Did you ever see the story where it went through the thing and then the deer was still alive and it started panicking because it did it? It started attacking the person that was driving? You didn't see that at all? No, I didn't see that. Hold on. I'm going to try to find that for you. Send that through. I saw it. Tic-tac. Deer attacks.

02:03:48 - 02:03:50 | Speaker 3:

I have had venison before. That's pretty straight.

02:03:51 - 02:03:51 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

02:03:52 - 02:03:53 | Speaker 3:

You don't have venison?

02:03:53 - 02:03:58 | Speaker 4:

No, I have. Here's an aggressive deer. This is an aggressive deer.

02:03:58 - 02:04:09 | Speaker 1:

I call that this buck was attacking vehicles. So the sheriff came up and he started, I guess the buck started attacking the sheriff's pickup. No.

02:04:12 - 02:04:25 | Speaker 4:

Like attacking. That's a different story. I don't know what that story is. Do you guys know my... Rachel! It's from a TV show.

02:04:25 - 02:04:27 | Speaker 2:

Okay, I was going to say. That sounds so cool.

02:04:27 - 02:04:31 | Speaker 4:

Produced. Watch this thing. Watch this, dear.

02:04:32 - 02:04:38 | Speaker 3:

Don't stop. Don't stop. Go! Drive! Drive!

02:04:38 - 02:04:52 | Speaker 4:

This is Shannon and Watson. Don't stop the car! Don't stop the car, Rachel. The deer is going to... Watch out. Wow, look at that. Listen to that deer. The huffs. That's a deer?

02:04:53 - 02:04:53 | Speaker 3:

This is face.

02:04:54 - 02:04:57 | Speaker 4:

No, this is real. This is real life. This is...

02:04:57 - 02:04:58 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God.

02:04:59 - 02:05:00 | Speaker 1:

Oh, this is not real.

02:05:00 - 02:05:09 | Speaker 2:

you like these animals

02:05:09 - 02:06:00 | Speaker 1:

okay i have never told you my thing with deer why i love deer so much first off i think they're beautiful what happened um and i know i know i'm crazy anyway and this is gonna make me sound even crazier but everybody has their thing when somebody dies when my grandma when my grandma grace died when i was in high school it was always a thing that when i missed her or i was doing something that i was like seeking prayer for or needed like a little bit of you know a push to deer always showed up as and so it deer have always been assigned to me that my grandma is with me so that then on saturday i was like you almost hit my grandma wait what what if it really is a thing i'm not joking when wes and i went on our first date we went on a walk and like a deer just randomly showed up in the past. Stuff like that that I get chills and I'm like, oh, it's my grandma giving me a sign.

02:06:01 - 02:06:04 | Speaker 2:

So grandma just cost Wes how much money on the sign?

02:06:04 - 02:06:05 | Speaker 1:

A mirror.

02:06:05 - 02:06:06 | Speaker 2:

A mirror on the side of that car?

02:06:06 - 02:06:07 | Speaker 1:

Grandma.

02:06:07 - 02:06:11 | Speaker 2:

Victoria, what's going on? Hi. Hi, Victoria.

02:06:12 - 02:06:13 | Speaker 4:

Hey, how are you?

02:06:14 - 02:06:18 | Speaker 2:

I'm doing okay. I just found out that deer are not in Detroit. Isn't that the greatest story ever?

02:06:19 - 02:06:26 | Speaker 4:

I know. And so I just wanted to follow up with Kev. Like you'll see a stray dog and nothing but hood pigeons. It's an official bird.

02:06:27 - 02:06:43 | Speaker 5:

The pigeons are terrifying. They may not move it out of your way. No, they don't care. I was sitting on the bench waiting for the cue, and this bird started walking at me. It looked like it was going to flex at me. It was like, get out of my way. It was so scary.

02:06:43 - 02:06:44 | Speaker 2:

Hold on a second.

02:06:44 - 02:06:46 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to walk hand in hand with you.

02:06:47 - 02:06:50 | Speaker 2:

Tyra says Cav's full of crap. What's that, Tyra?

02:06:51 - 02:07:09 | Speaker 5:

Yes. I love you, Cav. But I don't know what part of Detroit you stay in, but I can name many areas. And I'm 53 years old. I've been living here my whole life. And I just looked out my window right off of Seven Mile and Livernois. No way. And so I was just walking down my street.

02:07:10 - 02:07:26 | Speaker 3:

Seven Mile and Livernois? Yes. Livernois. No way. Now we can ask. No way. Listen. No, look. My family right there by All Greater Grace were Sheeran and Preach on 7th and Schaefer. There is no way. I've never seen deer over there.

02:07:27 - 02:07:37 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that is amazing. I'm going to tell you what. If I find a picture from when I, and if there's anybody else listening, I implore you to please. Here, hold on.

02:07:37 - 02:07:40 | Speaker 2:

No, no, no. Is it Donnell?

02:07:42 - 02:07:42 | Speaker 4:

Donnell.

02:07:43 - 02:07:48 | Speaker 2:

Donnell. Okay. Donnell, meet Tyra. Oh, she hung up the phone.

02:07:48 - 02:08:31 | Speaker 4:

Yes. Good morning, everyone. I am a regular listener. Thank you. And I want to say she is absolutely all right. I've lived in the city of Detroit all my life. There are deer where I live, where my mom and my husband are buried. I see deer all the time whenever I visit. Just recently, one of my neighbors posted a deer just running down the street. That's crazy. There are deer all over the city of Detroit, Kev, and especially over, well, that's because you're not looking. But for sure, there are deer in the city.

02:08:31 - 02:08:49 | Speaker 2:

Somebody told me that the deer are starting to move to Detroit because they're hearing about the rebuild and how great this city is. And they're voting for Kamala, too. This is true. I heard that story.

02:08:50 - 02:08:51 | Speaker 3:

The deer are voting.

02:08:52 - 02:09:07 | Speaker 2:

I heard that. The deer are voting. But if you vote for Donald Trump, he'll get rid of all the deer in Detroit for you. Unless you can put him in a McDonald's sandwich. Well, there you go. Then it'll be okay. The deer had the biggest penis I've ever seen.

02:09:07 - 02:09:08 | Speaker 3:

The venison big bat.

02:09:08 - 02:09:10 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, Shelly? What's happening?

02:09:10 - 02:09:20 | Speaker 5:

hey yeah so like roosh park area and brightmore they're big over there they're there

02:09:20 - 02:09:25 | Speaker 2:

cav is you know what the problem is cav's been cav's been uh staying in west bloomfield now for

02:09:25 - 02:09:35 | Speaker 3:

the last couple years listen i haven't been to every neighborhood in detroit but finkel and schaefer grand river and griggs seven mile and schaefer i've never seen deer in them they're

02:09:35 - 02:09:40 | Speaker 5:

there because there's no there's no trees over there that's what i'm saying that's what they do

02:09:40 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 2:

you wait by the way the new station coyote the other day did you the the new station mascot when we moved to eastern market is going to be there you go it's there you go it's going to be a stray dog and a deer that's what it's gonna be hold on a second hold on might not call us i can't believe you called me a psycho hey were you in there

02:10:00 - 02:10:20 | Speaker 5:

Just now you are a psycho. Good God. This is from Tommy Boy. I love Tommy Boy. I wouldn't say you did much better. I thought you were so cool. This is one of the deer attacks. What did you learn, he says? Well, I was watching. You know what I saw? There's a deer in the backseat.

02:10:22 - 02:10:28 | Speaker 2:

I think you're trying to win. God, I haven't seen this movie in forever. Tommy Boy is a top 20 movie of all time.

02:10:30 - 02:10:56 | Speaker 5:

This is going to be Kev and I driving straight. Hey, Kev, you want to go get some pizza? Let's go get some pizza. I'll drive. There'll be a deer in the back of our car. Rest in peace to legend. Oh, that's such a great movie. All right, Mojo in the Morning. I feel bad for Wes, by the way. Wes, is he going to take it over to get his car fixed?

02:10:56 - 02:10:59 | Speaker 2:

I mean, thank God that we're okay in the deer. Yeah, right.

02:10:59 - 02:11:09 | Speaker 5:

You know why people put those on the front of pickup trucks, those big old roll bars and things like that on there? Because those are ways to get rid of deer. Those are, you hope that they hit the front of your vehicle.

02:11:09 - 02:11:19 | Speaker 2:

Well, I felt so bad about the deer, and then like maybe a half mile down the road, there was a guy like on his John Deere tractor, and he was just dragging a deer with a piece of rope. I'm like, Jesus. Oh, Lord.

02:11:20 - 02:11:24 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Hold on. A Detroit fireman is on with us right now. Billy, are you there?

02:11:25 - 02:11:26 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'm here.

02:11:26 - 02:11:27 | Speaker 5:

You work with Chief Harris?

02:11:27 - 02:11:34 | Speaker 4:

chief harris uh he's he's around but he's not my chief at the moment he's my buddy i love him

02:11:34 - 02:11:38 | Speaker 5:

what's going on you're you're a detroit firefighter you want to say something to

02:11:38 - 02:11:52 | Speaker 4:

yeah no kev i'm gonna have to uh not agree with you man there's plenty of deer in detroit i see him all the time outside the firehouse even by liver noise john r seven mile do you let me ask

02:11:52 - 02:11:58 | Speaker 5:

two questions do you see a lot of deer versus car accidents um that's the thing like i think

02:11:58 - 02:12:05 | Speaker 4:

detroit deer are smarter than the up north they don't hit cars they just hang out at the party

02:12:05 - 02:12:11 | Speaker 5:

stores don't they yeah all right well thank you for the call buddy i appreciate you oh yeah no

02:12:11 - 02:12:17 | Speaker 4:

problem mojo in the mornings dirty on the 30 we'll give away the jingle ball tickets and then

02:12:17 - 02:12:23 | Speaker 5:

right afterwards, we've got our Taylor Swift contest. Shannon, what's going on? What's trending in this journey? Well, Eminem

02:12:23 - 02:12:30 | Speaker 2:

introducing former President Barack Obama on stage while appearing at a Kamala Harris rally in Detroit last night. Detroit!

02:12:34 - 02:13:09 | Speaker 1:

What up, though? So look, I wrote down a few things I wanted to say.

02:13:09 - 02:13:14 | Speaker 2:

After being introduced by Marshall, the former president began his speech by doing a little

02:13:14 - 02:13:42 | Speaker 3:

So I don't usually get nervous, but I was feeling some kind of way following Eminem. And I notice my palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy. Bombing on my sweater already, my arms forgetting. I'm nervous, but on the surface I look calm and ready to drop bombs, but I keep on forgetting.

02:13:44 - 02:14:06 | Speaker 5:

he's the coolest that was good that was really good where was Vice President Harris how come she wasn't there because that would that would have been a great rally to be at with him he is so damn good at speaking I feel like we haven't had a president in a while that could get up and just do a speech like he could man did he now facing

02:14:06 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 2:

a brand new civil lawsuit from a man who alleges that he sexually assaulted him at a 2022 party before a professional athlete we don't know who it is stepped in to intervene and stop it from actually happening this man alleged the incident occurred like i said in 2022 during a party in la this guy is the owner of a family business that specializes in renting luxury cars and jewelry and diddy was a client of his so he was invited to this party by diddy when he got there he was like oh my gosh tons of celebrities and just like high profile people in general but he said he was instructed by Diddy to meet him in his office for a private talk and he was like okay we're probably going to talk business right well instead he realized very immediately that Diddy was drunk and acting super strange he says in the lawsuit Diddy then quote removed his pants

02:15:00 - 02:15:16 | Speaker 3:

and exposed his genitals before grabbing his genitals and squeezing them in a rough and sexual manner. It kind of escalated from there, as you can imagine, until this unnamed professional athlete entered Diddy's office, intervened, and ended the assault.

02:15:16 - 02:15:23 | Speaker 2:

So essentially that athlete, God, I want to know who it was, was a hero in that moment and stopped an assault from happening.

02:15:23 - 02:15:32 | Speaker 3:

LeBron James and his eldest son, Bronny, becoming the first dad-son duo to take the court together in NBA history last night as the Lakers took on the Timberwolves.

02:15:33 - 02:15:37 | Speaker 1:

The first father-son duo to play together in an NBA game.

02:15:38 - 02:15:43 | Speaker 3:

Happened about eight minutes into the second quarter. They were both miked up before checking in on the court.

02:15:44 - 02:15:45 | Speaker 1:

All ready? No.

02:15:46 - 02:15:49 | Speaker 6:

You can see the intensity, right? Just play carefree, though.

02:15:50 - 02:15:54 | Speaker 5:

More about mistakes, just go out and play hard. Shut up, Dad.

02:15:55 - 02:15:58 | Speaker 3:

Brownie played for about three minutes. Lakers won the game, by the way.

02:15:58 - 02:16:15 | Speaker 6:

Man, look, though, man, because there's a lot of, obviously, in the barbershops and wherever you talk sports at, a lot of controversy, who's the greatest of all time, a lot of the old heads, like Mojo, want to say Jordan, but if you look at the statistics outside of the championship rings, LeBron is leading Jordan in every statistical category.

02:16:15 - 02:16:24 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, exactly, because he's a ball hog that played more. Go ahead. Since when did longevity become a knockout? Go ahead. Okay. I'll take the championship rings. Go ahead.

02:16:24 - 02:16:28 | Speaker 6:

Having the opportunity to play with your son is something like both sides of the party.

02:16:28 - 02:16:31 | Speaker 5:

Michael Jordan could have done that, too. But his sons weren't good enough.

02:16:32 - 02:16:33 | Speaker 6:

LeBron, he's not good enough.

02:16:34 - 02:16:43 | Speaker 5:

Tell the Lakers that. He was drafted. What was Jordan's son's problems then? They weren't good enough either. They actually probably weren't even good enough to play D1 basketball, but they were Michael Jordan's kids.

02:16:43 - 02:16:47 | Speaker 6:

So Jordan wasn't good enough to get his kids drafted, but LeBron was? Is that what you're saying?

02:16:48 - 02:17:04 | Speaker 5:

No, I think that, honestly, I think that the NBA likes the storyline, so I think it's good for them. And I think it's great, too. I think it's wonderful. I think it's a cool storyline. I wish him well, but I just don't think Bronny is going to be good enough to play in the NBA.

02:17:05 - 02:17:20 | Speaker 3:

Lastly, big story, nationwide health officials are investigating this E. coli outbreak linked to McDonald's quarter pounders in multiple states, according to the CDC. We don't know which ingredient in the quarter pounders is making people sick.

02:17:20 - 02:17:20 | Speaker 5:

I heard it was the onion.

02:17:20 - 02:17:41 | Speaker 3:

Well, so they're looking at the slivered onions and then they're looking at the quarter pound beef patties, both of which are very specifically used just for quarter pounders. I know 49 people in 10 different states have fallen ill. There was one, an adult in Colorado actually died. 10 people have been hospitalized, including a kid who developed some crazy kidney disease. But here's a statement from McDonald's.

02:17:41 - 02:17:57 | Speaker 4:

I love it. It's important to note that the majority of states and the majority of menu items are not affected. This is a temporary change as the investigation continues, and we are working quickly to return our full menu in these states as soon as possible.

02:17:57 - 02:18:10 | Speaker 3:

And those states, by the way, that this has been reported in, excuse me, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. So none yet in Michigan or Ohio, fingers crossed.

02:18:11 - 02:18:25 | Speaker 6:

Obviously, I don't think Trump has something to do with this. Oh, there you go. No, I just said, obviously, I don't think he had something to do with it, but the timing of this story is crazy. Oh, yeah. Because when has McDonald's been like, you know what I mean? Oh, boy, Kev. Here we go again.

02:18:25 - 02:18:37 | Speaker 5:

Do you think it's a conspiracy? Do you think they're trying to make McDonald's look bad because they let Trump go out there and do that? I just don't. You got to admit, the timing is kind of crazy. Oh. Come on, Shannon. Give me a Kamala story that makes me look good.

02:18:37 - 02:18:42 | Speaker 3:

Now. All right. For all of today's story, check out the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

02:18:42 - 02:18:48 | Speaker 1:

Get more dirt at MojoInTheMorning.com. Here we are, let's go. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:18:48 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 5:

All right, it is the Mojo in the Morning show. It was neat to go down and see our new studios. We went for another visit. Our sales departments all moved out. They moved downtown. We're going to be doing our show for the first time in, gosh, ever, since we've been in our studio here in Farmington Hills, Michigan. We're going to be moving to Detroit to Eastern Market. So excited. Which was an idea that came about by Bob Pittman, our CEO, when Bob became the CEO of iHeart. You know, Bob back in the day used to work at WDRQ. He used to be an on-air DJ way back when. And he said he didn't understand why a Detroit radio station was in Farmington Hills, Michigan. especially historic Detroit stations like us and FM 98 WJLB and mix 92 point whatever they are three and who are the other ones WNIC 100.3 WNIC so we're going to be an Eastern market we're going to be broadcasting from there and yesterday was fun to go see the station I saw I showed Chelsea the station for the first time yesterday so my wife got to go see it and we have friends in from out of town.

02:20:00 - 02:20:08 | Speaker 1:

that are visiting, and our friends are so excited to be in Detroit because one is from Tucson, Arizona, the other one is from Dallas, Texas.

02:20:09 - 02:20:09 | Speaker 2:

Wow.

02:20:09 - 02:21:52 | Speaker 1:

And it's kind of interesting that the people that come to visit from other places are so much more knowledgeable about Detroit than probably I am even and living here all the time. They know about everything in Detroit because Detroit's got a thick cool factor, right? Everybody loves the Lions. You know, we love the old English D. We love Motown and, you know, what music it's brought. The cars, right? Or the city that moves the world. Well, we also have Henry the Hatter, which is a historic hat shop, which is right down the street from our radio studios. And that's where our friend Sean wanted to go. She wanted to go to Henry the Hatter because Sean is a huge Kid Rock fan. She loves Kid. and she's seen Kidd talk about Henry the Hatter before and all that stuff. So have this ever happened to you guys? We went to go to Henry the Hatter, and this is no reflection on Henry the Hatter because you're our new neighbor. But I don't know who you had working yesterday. Maybe it was Harriet the Hatter. She was there. You ever go into a store, and the moment that you walk into the store, the people that work there treat you like they think you're going to rob the place? That's what it was walking into Henry the Hatter yesterday. Maybe it was that they saw these people walking into Henry the Hatter and they thought to themselves, these don't look like people that wear hats or something. I don't know. But they acted like they followed you around the entire store. And it was weird. Have you ever had that? I don't like that.

02:21:52 - 02:21:57 | Speaker 2:

when they follow you around the store that makes me so nervous and they give you the hairy eyeball

02:21:57 - 02:22:30 | Speaker 1:

like you're not like why are you here you know and honestly even if i'm walking in just to look at the hats and go wow i just want to be able to say that i'm in henry the hatter they should be excited about you actually being there right i mean i the only reason i know henry the hatter is the history of henry the hatter you know and uh and they they looked like this it was so apparent almost to a point where actually Luke was there. My son, Luke, he's like, I don't think we should stay here. I don't think they want us here. It was weird.

02:22:30 - 02:22:50 | Speaker 2:

I always feel that way when I walk into, especially if it's like a local business, it's not like a big box store. And you guys know my bags. All of my purses and stuff are humongo. Yeah. And I always feel like I'm getting a hairy eyeball when I walk into somewhere with like a big bag because it probably looks like I'm about to fill the dang bag with their stuff and I'm not. I just have a lot of stuff.

02:22:50 - 02:23:51 | Speaker 1:

And it's interesting because I actually was telling a buddy of mine who is Puerto Rican yesterday the story. The guy and I used to work together in radio in Arizona. And we were joking around because he knows Sean and knows Courtney because they were our old neighbors from when we lived in Tucson. And he goes, now you know what it's like to be me. Oh, my God. And I said to him, I go, oh, you know what, this is, yeah, you know, this is like something that happens anytime that you are, if you're black or brown, that this happens, you walk into a store and they do that. And it's very awkward. Let me just say this to you. It's very, very strange. It almost made me want to steal a hat. It almost made me want to go inside there and just go, I'm going to take a hat. My name is Joe Rinkevich, current caretaker at Henry the Hatter. Henry the Hatter. Joe, Joe wasn't there yesterday. Got my grandpa's old hat. Never knew I was there. Have you been in that store ever? Have you ever been in Henry the Hatter? Yes, I have. I was there a couple of weeks ago. Did you buy anything at all?

02:23:51 - 02:24:05 | Speaker 3:

I was actually really interested in buying something. I did not realize the style of hats that they had in there. And so I didn't find anything that I was really looking for that day. But I found some really cool stuff in there.

02:24:05 - 02:24:06 | Speaker 1:

Oh, it's a cool place.

02:24:06 - 02:24:07 | Speaker 3:

It was so interesting.

02:24:08 - 02:24:15 | Speaker 1:

It made me want to buy Mike a hat. I almost wanted to give Mike a new look, get him a big old Stetson or something like that.

02:24:15 - 02:24:18 | Speaker 3:

But tell me if you agree with me. The majority of those hats are meant for men.

02:24:19 - 02:24:21 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, for sure. I feel like they are. Yeah.

02:24:21 - 02:24:27 | Speaker 3:

Didn't Arita get all her hats there? They have women's hats. I think she did.

02:24:28 - 02:25:00 | Speaker 1:

Remember the store used to be on Woodward, right? It was right on the classic Woodward there, kind of where dan gilbert redid all that stuff um and that was actually one of the only stores that was in a spot like there was emptiness on that street for so long and then i think it got i don't know if it got moved during the super bowl they upped the rent oh did they really yeah that's what i heard yeah have you ever had this have had this happen to you kev walking into a store i have i can't i'm sitting over here i haven't had any like crazy memories but i mean to your friend's Yeah, I mean you

02:25:00 - 02:25:17 | Speaker 2:

You know, you look a certain way, people are more aware of your presence. The weirdest part was, if I'm going to go in and I'm going to steal anything, I don't think I'm stealing a hat. Like, I'd go into a jewelry store or something like that. You know what I mean? Like, if I'm going to rob something, I'm going-

02:25:17 - 02:25:18 | Speaker 3:

Joe Lucido, just lock it down.

02:25:18 - 02:25:23 | Speaker 2:

I want to just walk in there, and I'm just going to just seriously grab myself a Rolex or something.

02:25:24 - 02:25:30 | Speaker 3:

A hat? A hat would be, especially their kind of hats that are, like, the fedoras. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, so you need to put them in a box. Yeah.

02:25:31 - 02:26:09 | Speaker 2:

Although I think, you know what's funny is that I do think that there are sometimes where I'll go into stores like a Lids, which by the way, that's my Henry the Hatter, Lids. By the way, I think I'm a member of the Lids Club. I know this sounds crazy to say this. I think I get free embroidering if you ever want a hat embroidered. I think I get some every single month. But it's funny because you go in sometimes to Lids and there's certain lids where you try to take the hat off and you can't get the hat off because it's got like a chain or something that is attached to the thing. Yeah, because those are easy to steal. Yeah. Did you guys meet our new security guard that we have at the front desk there? Greg?

02:26:10 - 02:26:12 | Speaker 1:

Is he going to be there all the time? I hope so

02:26:12 - 02:26:16 | Speaker 2:

because I really liked him. He was very friendly. Did you talk to him at all?

02:26:16 - 02:26:20 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, he was cool. He kind of didn't know if I'm like, I don't know. He was kind of weird.

02:26:20 - 02:26:26 | Speaker 3:

Did you guys, because I couldn't be there yesterday because I was actually, I was at fifth grade camp with Lucy, but did you guys pick seats? Did I miss the day

02:26:26 - 02:26:50 | Speaker 2:

that we picked seats well we went in and i kind of told everybody where you wanted to be because you had said um cav really wants so this is the thing cav sits uh right across from me yeah megan's right across from me shannon's kind of off to the right then kp's off to the left yeah and this new control board area has a table that's much smaller yeah so we literally could hold hands we we now

02:26:50 - 02:27:08 | Speaker 4:

could pray together if we wanted to i almost just argued with him i was like we're the opposite we face each other of course it's the opposite i was like she's on your left and you're like shannon's on my right i'm like she's on your left well i'm so stupid well kev wants kev wants to sit

02:27:08 - 02:27:25 | Speaker 2:

in the he wants to sit in the uh uh to my left position oh by the glass yeah i want to see the rest of the i want to see mojo's face he wants to see my face that's what i said and shannon wants shannon wants to sit by the way this is flattering that you guys each want to see for 15 years

02:27:25 - 02:27:26 | Speaker 3:

I have stared at a box.

02:27:27 - 02:27:29 | Speaker 2:

And what's wrong with my box?

02:27:29 - 02:27:42 | Speaker 3:

No. I have stared at a piece of equipment. And so when people are like, you don't realize, I really don't see Mojo at all during the show. I see his torso and the top of his hair, if he styles it correctly.

02:27:42 - 02:27:43 | Speaker 2:

They, I know, sometimes.

02:27:44 - 02:27:45 | Speaker 3:

That's what I see.

02:27:45 - 02:28:05 | Speaker 2:

Now you're going to see my nose hairs. Now Chelsea's going to be right. I have to trim my nose hairs every day, she said, because as I've gotten over 50 years old, I got nose hairs that grow like crazy. nose and ears here ears here's um here's who's so what do you guys think should we do you want so shannon you like that same position that you were in or do you want to do so we would be like

02:28:05 - 02:28:09 | Speaker 3:

the same yeah that it would be the same that it is now so as soon as you walked in the studio

02:28:09 - 02:28:21 | Speaker 2:

you'd be right there i don't whatever and megan did you like your position because you you kind of you didn't seem like you uh were trying to pick a place did you like do you like that do Do you want to sit where Kev sits or do you want to sit?

02:28:21 - 02:28:37 | Speaker 4:

I like what we have now because I like that Shannon always brings nice lotions that I can then steal. I do say that. And Kev's within hitting distance for when he says something he shouldn't. I do personally like where I sit.

02:28:38 - 02:28:39 | Speaker 2:

I'll punch him right in the nose.

02:28:39 - 02:28:44 | Speaker 4:

I'm a team player, but if you love me, you know that I need to steal her lotion. It's getting expensive.

02:28:44 - 02:28:48 | Speaker 2:

By the way, Henry the Hatter, you're looking at anybody that's a thief. She's right there.

02:28:48 - 02:28:49 | Speaker 4:

Right.

02:28:49 - 02:28:52 | Speaker 2:

He's the lotion thief. What's going on, Charlie? Hi.

02:28:53 - 02:29:07 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Mojo. How's it going, everybody? What's happening? Not much. I just looked at it and I totally agree with you. If I was going to steal anything, it'd be worth more than a hat.

02:29:07 - 02:29:14 | Speaker 2:

I think so, too. But I get it. They must get ripped off and stuff. Which is so sad. Actually, you know what I would probably steal?

02:29:14 - 02:29:16 | Speaker 1:

I'm sure. I'm sure they get it.

02:29:16 - 02:29:20 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to steal a gyro from that Greek place that's right across the street from the state.

02:29:20 - 02:29:21 | Speaker 1:

Is that how you say it?

02:29:21 - 02:29:41 | Speaker 2:

A gyro. It's not gyro? No, it's not gyro. It's like liver noise. I never knew. Liver noise is one of those. By the way, what are certain words that people can't pronounce? Kevin, when he was doing the traffic the last couple of days, kept calling it liver noise, and I didn't correct him at all. I said, we're all making noise on liver noise. It's liver noise.

02:29:41 - 02:29:46 | Speaker 4:

I said one word that drives me crazy. You say similar instead of similar? Similar? Yeah.

02:29:47 - 02:29:50 | Speaker 2:

You're similar. Also, ask instead of ask.

02:29:50 - 02:29:54 | Speaker 4:

I don't mind that. I don't mind that. You saying husband drives me nuts?

02:29:54 - 02:29:54 | Speaker 2:

Husband?

02:29:55 - 02:29:55 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

02:29:55 - 02:29:57 | Speaker 2:

Husband. I say I put a T on the end of it, right?

02:29:57 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 4:

He's the only one that speaks properly out of all of us.

02:30:00 - 02:30:04 | Speaker 2:

Shannon enunciates very well, but she does Shannon when she says her name.

02:30:04 - 02:30:08 | Speaker 3:

Do you want to know what's so funny is my drama teachers and stuff are like, you have

02:30:08 - 02:30:18 | Speaker 4:

really deteriorated in your enunciation. I have the worst mush mouth around here. Half the time I'm getting sent out, I'm like... Really?

02:30:18 - 02:30:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. That what you sound like?

02:30:20 - 02:30:25 | Speaker 4:

It feels like it. When my brain is going faster than my mouth can keep up with.

02:30:25 - 02:30:29 | Speaker 2:

I've never kind of noticed that, that you have. Yeah, really?

02:30:30 - 02:30:38 | Speaker 4:

Me, me. Do you remember that scene in Billy Madison where he's like, today, Junior? I feel like somebody in their car says that to me every day.

02:30:39 - 02:30:41 | Speaker 2:

When you're trying to just get a word out.

02:30:41 - 02:30:44 | Speaker 4:

Today, Junior! God, I love that movie.

02:30:45 - 02:31:00 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I always, I think sometimes, there I am, by the way. You hear that? I'm like, I can't even put a thought together when I'm having such an issue. Trying to figure out how to speak in here. All right, enough already of this. Thank you for the call. I appreciate you so much.

02:31:01 - 02:31:01 | Unknown:

Thank you.

02:31:02 - 02:31:48 | Speaker 2:

All right. All right. Bye, Charlie. Here, I'm going to put it in your mouth. All right. Mojo in the morning. All right. I totally screwed something up this morning. I never gave away our Florida trip. I can't believe it. I just realized that. And obviously, you just heard the promo for it. Normally, at 8 o'clock, we do it. I completely screwed up with this Taylor Swift craziness. Lydia after second date update we're going to give away a chance to win a trip to Florida we still got time if we would have been off the air I would have been so upset all day all I would have been thinking about was that right after second date update get ready to win a $50 cash card and be one of our five qualifiers for the grand prize drawing Friday for a trip to Orlando

02:31:48 - 02:31:52 | Speaker 1:

it's the second date update a mojo in the morning

02:31:52 - 02:32:14 | Speaker 2:

Shayna's not getting a call back hey we got to go by the way shana's in east lansing she is a spartan go green go white yes i love it and wait you're not getting a call back from somebody that you've been seeing here yeah what's the uh what's the story first off how long have you guys been seeing

02:32:14 - 02:32:22 | Speaker 3:

each other well we've been hooking up for like a month okay like like once a week like it's

02:32:22 - 02:32:34 | Speaker 2:

really casual it's like nothing serious okay and now he's not calling you back is that make it kind of weird if you guys are all like hanging out together and you go and going out to some of the

02:32:34 - 02:33:05 | Speaker 3:

places on campus yeah i mean like it's not that he's not it's just that like it's gotten like one word responses and like he takes forever to like text me back and usually he's like blowing up my phone. Okay. Well, it's like a situation ship, right? Yeah, but I just, like, I have this feeling that, like, he's just, like, doing a very slow ghost, like, creeping out the room. Like, he might be, like,

02:33:05 - 02:33:06 | Speaker 4:

seeing other people or something.

02:33:07 - 02:33:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, which is, like, fine because, like, it's not serious. I just don't understand, like, why.

02:33:13 - 02:33:52 | Speaker 2:

Just be honest. Yeah, just be honest and say something. All right, he's on the phone with us right now. His name is Nate. Nate, will you say hello to shana uh hello hello how are you why is it that every college kid sounds the same like i swear to you you sound i i thought i was picking my son luke's call up here right now hello um nate what's happening buddy what's up man um nothing much so shana called us up obviously you were listening on hold and wants to know are you guys cool with each other? Is everything okay?

02:33:54 - 02:34:22 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, we're cool, man. We've been hanging out for like a month. It's been going pretty well. She's just been, you know, kind of just keeping it casual with coming over. But, you know, it's recently gotten a little annoying because of the fact that every time you come over, you bring laundry with you. and I feel like you're just coming over to do your laundry.

02:34:24 - 02:34:27 | Speaker 2:

Do you live in an apartment or a house?

02:34:27 - 02:34:29 | Speaker 1:

I live in a dorm. I do, I do, man.

02:34:29 - 02:34:36 | Speaker 2:

But Shana lives in a dorm. So Shana, you live in a dorm, he lives in an apartment, and you're using him for his washer and dryer.

02:34:37 - 02:34:41 | Speaker 3:

Well, I'm just like, if I'm going to be there anyway, and he already has it, like, what's the issue?

02:34:41 - 02:34:42 | Speaker 4:

Shana.

02:34:42 - 02:34:45 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but you seem to bring in a trash bag full of clothes.

02:34:46 - 02:34:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. Is she bringing her own detergent? Yeah, she's bringing her own detergent.

02:34:51 - 02:34:52 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so that's at least going to.

02:34:53 - 02:34:56 | Speaker 4:

No, because it's still affecting the water bill. You got it.

02:34:56 - 02:34:57 | Speaker 1:

You're not paying the water bill.

02:34:57 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 4:

I don't think it has anything to do with the water bill or your tide.

02:35:00 - 02:35:04 | Speaker 3:

pods it's just not it's weird it's not but it's not a good look wait okay well let's ask that

02:35:04 - 02:35:13 | Speaker 2:

question let me ask that question to the listeners is is that if you go on a date with somebody and i'm assuming you guys hang are hanging out for long times right you watching like i'm gonna be

02:35:13 - 02:35:21 | Speaker 4:

there for like an almost an entire night so like why wouldn't i multitask is it bad if you're just

02:35:21 - 02:35:27 | Speaker 2:

hanging out you guys are you know in a relationship with each other and they bring their laundry to

02:35:27 - 02:35:47 | Speaker 3:

do it your place i kind of love you because like i said it's smart but i'm also like cringing for you because i don't know that i would do that right off the bat in a new relationship that's even more so like in the situation ship that's like if you're staying the night right and you

02:35:47 - 02:35:57 | Speaker 6:

bring groceries and cook together yeah then you can do laundry but when you're coming over just to hook up you don't go let me do a chore while i'm at it you know what's funny is my son came

02:35:57 - 02:36:08 | Speaker 2:

home for break and you should see the bag of laundry that he brought with him i would love for him to have a place to go do that at instead of you know bringing it home he does have a place

02:36:08 - 02:36:16 | Speaker 7:

to do it a laundromat like a normal person do that six more of his dormitory there um my clothes

02:36:16 - 02:36:27 | Speaker 5:

are washing yeah i'm already staying with him so i don't understand the issue i like he's not using it so why wouldn't i the laundromat i use cleans your laundry it folds it and calls you to come

02:36:27 - 02:36:35 | Speaker 2:

pick it up oh what's that called uh skylar long mat okay hey there you go that takes too much time

02:36:35 - 02:36:43 | Speaker 7:

he's probably got the full uh full washer and dryer too uh full size i do i see yeah man but

02:36:43 - 02:36:50 | Speaker 1:

like it's not that it's a problem it's just that i would appreciate it if she asked instead of just

02:36:50 - 02:37:02 | Speaker 2:

expect just doing it uh christina what do you christina what do you think about uh this second date update shana's bringing her laundry over to nate's to do while they're hanging out with each

02:37:02 - 02:37:12 | Speaker 7:

other i think there's absolutely nothing wrong with it i don't find it weird at all and if shana wants to come to my house she can come to my house and do it okay but let's be honest if a guy did

02:37:12 - 02:37:23 | Speaker 2:

this we'd be like exactly you'd be tearing his ass up if the guy if the guy was making her do the laundry definitely by the way have you ever thought about just having her maybe throw some

02:37:23 - 02:37:32 | Speaker 1:

of your load in there too nate yeah man but i you know i usually do my laundry like every three

02:37:32 - 02:37:46 | Speaker 7:

weeks mackenzie what's going on you want to comment yeah um i just wanted to say that if she's over there baking cookies why couldn't she do her laundry yeah i don't work like that y'all

02:37:46 - 02:37:47 | Speaker 2:

I agree, too.

02:37:48 - 02:37:50 | Speaker 7:

You don't ask. You don't just show up with it.

02:37:51 - 02:38:01 | Speaker 2:

If a girl is allowing him, I was going to use a load reference, but I'm not going to do that. You already did that. No, no. Move on to the next one. You're absolutely right.

02:38:01 - 02:38:05 | Speaker 6:

If she showed up with a tub full of dirty dishes and said, I'm just going to use your dishwasher.

02:38:06 - 02:38:14 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's different, though. Why? Nobody takes their dishes out of their house. Who takes their clothes out? People that go to laundry mats. They don't have a place to go wash dishes. His house isn't a laundry mat.

02:38:14 - 02:38:15 | Speaker 8:

Correct.

02:38:15 - 02:38:16 | Speaker 2:

Carla, what do you think?

02:38:17 - 02:38:18 | Unknown:

Restaurant.

02:38:18 - 02:38:21 | Speaker 8:

No, absolutely not. No. No, no, no.

02:38:21 - 02:38:22 | Speaker 2:

No, no, no.

02:38:22 - 02:38:29 | Speaker 8:

That's right. No, no, no. No, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no. Yeah.

02:38:29 - 02:38:30 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, why? She wants to know why.

02:38:32 - 02:38:46 | Speaker 7:

Because you don't show up with your laundry. I can see if they talked about it first and you said absolutely yes. But no, not just dating. No. No, no. Do your laundry before you go. I'm sorry. No, go to Iron Man before you go. No, no, no.

02:38:47 - 02:38:57 | Speaker 2:

All right. Olivia, Olivia, what do you think? Second date update here. We've got a couple of Spartans on the phone that I don't want to see their relationship end over laundry. What are your thoughts?

02:38:58 - 02:39:07 | Speaker 6:

I actually dated a few guys in college and kept the relationship going because they had laundry in their house that they let me use. So I'm on Chana's side.

02:39:07 - 02:39:13 | Speaker 2:

Okay, wait a second. So wait, you dated a couple of guys in college and what kept the relationship going?

02:39:14 - 02:39:16 | Speaker 6:

The access to their laundry.

02:39:16 - 02:39:29 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you just used them for their diabolical. That's great. That's actually kind of funny. She was really spinning them. You're making us look bad. What's up, Ryan?

02:39:29 - 02:39:31 | Speaker 9:

No. Hey, how are you guys doing? Good morning.

02:39:31 - 02:39:32 | Speaker 2:

Good morning, buddy. What's happening?

02:39:33 - 02:39:40 | Speaker 9:

Shoot. I'm kind of seeing a plot twist here. I think she's just sleeping with them to get the laundry done. I mean, could be. You never know. Hard times.

02:39:40 - 02:39:45 | Speaker 2:

Would you have a problem with a girl using you for your laundry and washer and dryer?

02:39:46 - 02:39:55 | Speaker 9:

Okay, so I would say no, but again, like Kev said, if it was reversed, man, it would just be a whole nother situation. You're right. Everything is that way.

02:39:56 - 02:40:01 | Speaker 4:

Okay, but you're never acting like he gets nothing out of this relationship. What is he getting?

02:40:01 - 02:40:02 | Speaker 3:

What is he getting, Shayna?

02:40:04 - 02:40:05 | Speaker 6:

We all know.

02:40:05 - 02:40:24 | Speaker 4:

Oh, so you tricking yourself. We all know. Katie, what is he getting? He's getting a load for a load. There you go, yes. I didn't say it, but you did. See? Thank you. We appreciate it. I appreciate you listening to Dave and Chuck the Freak. We'll have a good one.

02:40:25 - 02:40:33 | Speaker 6:

You got a $50 cash card. You're now qualified for a trip to Orlando, Florida, courtesy of Visit Florida. If you win, you and someone that you tolerate will go to Orlando, Florida. We will pay for your airfare. Actually, Visit Florida will because we don't have budget for much. You will go and stay at the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa, just minutes away from Orlando's renowned theme parks. You will also get a pretty cool excursion. And you'll get an excursion to go to do some, this is pretty wild, you are going to zipline over crocodiles over the central Florida Everglades, be in an airboat on Bogey Creek Airboat Adventures, and iFly to Orlando is going to give you a chance to skydive there. It's all from Visit Florida. That's a lot of good stuff. That's awesome. Yeah, they're good people. What a time. Have a great day, okay? Thank you so much. Thank you. See you tomorrow, guys. Bye. 20-plus years of idiocy and still going in Detroit, Toledo, and West Michigan.
