This is Mojo in the Morning. Mojo.

00:02:15 - 00:02:22 | Speaker 5:

Mojo. This show's up. And the Rockets Red Gwets.

00:02:23 - 00:02:25 | Speaker 4:

You're not being logical is what I'm saying.

00:02:25 - 00:02:27 | Speaker 2:

This is like an orgasm and a cop.

00:02:33 - 00:02:33 | Unknown:

Showtime.

00:02:53 - 00:03:22 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God, you guys. So this morning, I'm pulling up to the radio station, and I smell something very, very nice. I smell my favorite sexy Mexi. Mexican Jimmy is here with us right now. The Tamale King.

00:03:22 - 00:03:27 | Speaker 2:

The tamale king The best tamales You've ever had

00:03:27 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 5:

Jimmy, first off I will tell you this That it's a little scary when all of a sudden you pull up in front of the building Normally you never see anybody in front of the building And then you see just some guy standing there But thank god you were holding a humongous Cooler And I thought, okay, this man doesn't sound like he Or doesn't seem like he wants to do any bodily harm To any of the Mojo on the Morning Show members He seems like, well, I guess you do, you want to feed us That'd be bodily harm. So nice. A cooler, guys, an igloo cooler filled with tamales. Oh, my gosh.

00:04:04 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 2:

Once you have Jimmy's tamales, and we'll give you his food truck information in just a second. I'm not joking. You can't eat them anywhere else. They don't taste the same.

00:04:13 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 4:

Sounds like Mojo's been drinking his margaritas already.

00:04:15 - 00:04:20 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. It's so good. Jimmy, what kind of tamales do we have in that cooler?

00:04:21 - 00:04:30 | Speaker 7:

Today you got a delicious pork tamales with the root sauce and the chicken. Gallina chicken. My favorite. Quack, quack. Quack, quack. With the salsa.

00:04:30 - 00:04:56 | Speaker 5:

Do you ever do turkey ones for Thanksgiving? No, really, but hey. There you go. We got an idea. Tamales are such a staple on my Thanksgiving table because my wife is Mexican and I am Cuban. And we lived in Tucson, Arizona, where you had tamales more than you had turkey. So that was the best. So, Jimmy, tell everybody about your food truck. How do people find your food truck?

00:04:57 - 00:05:19 | Speaker 7:

Well, you can find me on Instagram. You can find me on Instagram.

00:05:00 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 3:

My phone is 313-398-7487.

00:05:04 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 1:

What about your social? Give your Instagram and stuff.

00:05:06 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 3:

My Instagram is an Instagram. So Tres Leches and Snacks. Tres Leches and Snacks.

00:05:12 - 00:05:14 | Speaker 1:

I actually am linking it on my Instagram. Okay. All right.

00:05:15 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 6:

The Jimmy. The Jimmy. Jimmy. Jimmy. By the way, Jimmy, I don't know how you made it through the traffic today. Was it what roads bad when you were driving in?

00:05:22 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 3:

Well, yes. It's a little sticky. Yeah. The people, the trucks, you know, the people thing. up for those people working oh my god i know put this up or we can get safety it's crazy and the

00:05:33 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 2:

salting and the it really was different for community community so give yourself extra time this morning if you weren't following the news there is a coating of snow on the road well

00:05:41 - 00:06:00 | Speaker 6:

there's more than that in west michigan too where mike is so we'll talk about that and we'll get things started with some throwbacks here this morning let's go I'm gonna rock your world.

00:06:00 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 2:

Come on, y'all. It's now time. Let's go.

00:06:06 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 5:

What? Welcome to the weekend.

00:06:09 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 1:

You are listening to

00:06:10 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning.

00:06:17 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 6:

welcome to the mojo the mojo in the morning show this is the ha mojo mojo in the morning show it's a snowy mojo mojo in the morning show people don't know how to drive again in the mojo in the morning show i didn't know how to drive i'm driving in this morning man and uh you know even though it wasn't like a crap ton of snow it was still slick i was thinking about you mike how was

00:06:48 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 5:

your drive-in oh it's down to like one lane like i drove 50 60 miles an hour yeah we got a few

00:06:54 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 6:

inches last night yeah you guys uh hey you guys uh got hit got hit buffalo style did you see by the way uh the game got moved to ford field yeah so browns and buffalo are playing at ford i'm contemplating seeing if I can get a ticket and go because it's kind of wild the only time that this ever happens is like Super Bowl or when there's a weather issue like this I think that Buffalo had to do this one time before and then Minnesota had to do it one time when they had issues with their stadium and the stadium leaking and then I know in New Orleans they had to move games because of Hurricane Katrina and so this is weird that you get two teams playing in a neutral site other than a Super Bowl very rare so

00:07:34 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 1:

They said it was snowing three inches an hour overnight in Buffalo.

00:07:40 - 00:07:43 | Speaker 6:

They're going to get like between three and six feet of snow.

00:07:44 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:07:44 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 6:

So in Buffalo, people know how to do it. They don't complain like I do. So they're used to getting a lot of snow, although nobody's used to that kind of snow. Right. So, Mike, you're back today and you were off yesterday. And it was interesting because I went back and looked at your note that you sent and you just said, yeah, I'm just taking a day off. I'm going to burn a vacation day. But you took it off on a Thursday. What did you do yesterday?

00:08:10 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 4:

So the new Call of Duty came out the day before. That's what it was.

00:08:15 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 6:

I was trying to figure out. I was wondering, maybe he's got a doctor's appointment or something like that. No, you took off to play video games.

00:08:22 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 4:

Yep. Sent the kids. The kids went to school and their normal daycare. And I sat home, not a single person home. I listened to music super loud. I had steak and eggs for breakfast just because I could, and I played video games.

00:08:36 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 6:

Did you make it yourself, or did you order it out? Did you really? Yeah. Look at you, Mike. It's awesome.

00:08:41 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 2:

That's a good mental health day right there.

00:08:43 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 6:

It felt good. I'd love to know, like, what was the reason for the day off? Like, why did you take a day off, you know, other than being sick or, you know, having to go, you know, to some kind of an event for your family or whatever? What was the craziest reason why you took a day off? Mike took it off to go play the new Call of Duty. It was the day after Call of Duty comes out.

00:09:08 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, they had the new, you don't care, but they had the new Warzone that came out yesterday. So I literally did, I woke up, I sent the kid, like I said, bye, love you guys, have a great day. And they said, why are you not at work? I said, daddy's just taking a day. And I sat home, didn't put on normal clothes, just did nothing.

00:09:24 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 6:

You tell them why you're staying home, they're going to want to stay home with you. Yeah.

00:09:27 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

I feel like in the months of November and December, every company should give every employee just one day that could be called, I just need to keep my spit together and not have a mental breakdown day. So that you can, like, go out, get organized, get your holiday shopping done, get some rest. Like, this time of year is just so crazy for everybody. It would be much appreciated. Hear me out, though. More than just one day a year. No, I'm saying this time of year, if you could do Stow Us 1, it would be really nice.

00:10:00 - 00:10:09 | Speaker 3:

Russell, how jealous are you of Mike that he took a day off just to play Call of Duty? Russ. Hi, Russell.

00:10:11 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 6:

Are you talking to me?

00:10:12 - 00:10:13 | Speaker 3:

I'm talking to you.

00:10:13 - 00:10:13 | Speaker 7:

Is your name Russell?

00:10:14 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 3:

Is your name Russell? My name is Darnell. Oh, your name is Darnell. Well, what happened to Russell? I thought Russell was on line six.

00:10:21 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 6:

I have an uncle, Russell. I don't know if he called in. Oh, okay.

00:10:24 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 3:

All right. Oh, you're not on line six. I'm sorry. Our call screen board is completely whacked, so you're on call seven. Darnell, how jealous are you that this guy took a day off for...

00:10:35 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 6:

I'm extremely jealous. This has been a long week for me and my crew, but a blessing for somebody else is a blessing for me too.

00:10:43 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 3:

Where do you do for a living?

00:10:45 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 6:

I'm in the Coast Guard. I actually met y'all several years ago at Coast Guard Festival. Oh, yeah.

00:10:50 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 3:

When you say it's a long week for you guys, are you guys out there? Are there still people getting out there on the lake?

00:10:56 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 6:

I'm actually stationed down in Mississippi now, and we're preparing for a week in evolution, and it's been a long week. I brought y'all down here to Mississippi, so my crew is loving to fight. Love it.

00:11:08 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 3:

By the way, we're going to send you a picture of what it looks like in Grand Haven right now, and you realize how it's better to be down there than it is to be up here.

00:11:19 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I know. My family up in Grand Rapids, I saw them all bundled up having snowball fights yesterday.

00:11:24 - 00:11:30 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's crazy. We love you, buddy. Thank you for serving. We appreciate you. Is this Darnell on the phone?

00:11:31 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 7:

No, is this Russell?

00:11:31 - 00:11:43 | Speaker 3:

Or Russell. Or Russell. That's right. We just talked to Darnell. We're doing this old school style. We're doing it over text message. KP's texting me people's names. Russell? Yes. Russell the love muscle. What's happening?

00:11:44 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 5:

I'm doing great. Just another Friday heading into work.

00:11:48 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 3:

Let me ask you a question. If you could take today off and do anything silly at all, what would be the silly thing that you would take a day off for?

00:11:54 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 5:

just watch a whole day work those three stooges and wrestling

00:11:59 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 8:

that is really random not the answer I expected

00:12:07 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 3:

to be honest with you do you need a friend

00:12:09 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 4:

how smart are you it's mojo in the mornings back in the day we have to go back in time where we give you a bunch of events and you tell us what year it happened

00:12:20 - 00:12:28 | Speaker 3:

man she was on for 25 years 25 seasons and thousands of episodes this was the year that the oprah winfrey show ended i thank you

And the big song from Neon Trees. What year was this? We'll set you up with the prize. You're smart.

00:12:56 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 4:

Prove it. You remember the year this stuff happened. 844-MOJO-LIVE.

00:13:01 - 00:13:03 | Speaker 3:

Oprah called it quits in this year.

00:13:03 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 1:

Thank you for tuning in every day along with your mothers and your sisters and your daughters, your partners, gay and other.

00:13:10 - 00:13:10 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

00:13:11 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 3:

She got more squealy later in her career. This was a year that Bridesmaids hit theaters.

00:13:17 - 00:13:19 | Speaker 2:

What did we eat?

00:13:19 - 00:13:19 | Speaker 3:

That movie?

00:13:20 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 2:

Sinks are gone. What are you doing? It's coming out of me like lava.

00:13:25 - 00:13:51 | Speaker 3:

And Neon Trees had the big song. What year was this? Good throwback song to play. What year was that, Hannah? Oh, it was 2011. It was. Congratulations. We're going to set you up with the prize. Happy Thanksgiving, early to you. Luca Pastries and Livonia are going to set you up with a gift card, and you can get all kinds of good cakes, cannolis, cookies. Enjoy that. Have a great day. Be careful today.

00:13:51 - 00:13:53 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. You guys, too. Thank you.

00:13:53 - 00:14:30 | Speaker 3:

Thank you so much. We have tickets to our Jingle Ball to give away every single hour, and then, of course, Taylor Swift tickets at $7.50. So let's start this morning's Jingle Ball giveaway right now with a text-to-win contest. Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30. All right, text in right now. And text LCA, so the abbreviations for Little Caesars Arena, to 95500. And you can win tickets to our Jingle Ball. So text LCA right now to 95500. Standard text and data rates to apply. We will set you up. Shannon, with what's trending this morning in the Dirty on the 30.

00:14:30 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 7:

I mean, it's going to be lots of Taylor Swift updates for you today. Ticketmaster announcing yesterday that due to extraordinarily high demands on their ticketing systems and insufficient remaining ticket inventory to meet that demand. Today's public sales for Taylor's Eras Tour has totally been canceled. Craig Maffey is the CEO of Liberty Media, one of the owners of Live Nation, who actually owns Ticketmaster.

00:15:00 - 00:15:03 | Speaker 2:

He said, I mean, it was just a lot for them.

00:15:04 - 00:15:26 | Speaker 4:

Reality is, it's a function of the massive demand that Taylor Swift has. The site was supposed to be opened up for 1.5 million verified Taylor Swift fans. We had 14 million people hit the site, including bots, another story, which are not supposed to be there. And despite all the challenges and the breakdowns, we did sell over 2 million tickets that day. We could have filled 900 stadiums.

00:15:27 - 00:15:30 | Speaker 2:

900 stadiums. That is insane.

00:15:31 - 00:15:44 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that fair, though? Because how many people had groups signing up for the same amount of tickets? Or had, like, I've had my dad and brother sign up for ticket claims, too. Even though they weren't going to the show, they were just trying to help me.

00:15:44 - 00:15:45 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, but how do you combat that?

00:15:46 - 00:15:48 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. That's the problem, I think, with all of this.

00:15:49 - 00:16:09 | Speaker 6:

I thought that these, like, clubs, you know, join the club, the fan club, and you do it. I thought they limited it to, okay, we're going to do that for 5,000 seats. And then they kind of do it that way. Like, why do they not do that? to know that they do millions makes me think that they need to just change that whole thing.

00:16:09 - 00:16:18 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Well, I'll play you another clip of this interview in next hour's Dirty, because this guy then goes on to blame Taylor for what happened this week with the-

00:16:18 - 00:16:27 | Speaker 6:

I think she deserves it. Well, he did it kind of tongue-in-cheekly. Like, to brag about how big she said. Yes. It wasn't like he was saying she's the bad person.

00:16:27 - 00:16:30 | Speaker 2:

No, no, no, no. Okay. All right, next hour. No, I'll play you exactly what he said.

00:16:30 - 00:16:38 | Speaker 5:

And not only do we have the tickets to give away at $7.50, we have a Taylor Swift phone scam this morning at $7.50. Oh, my goodness. So stick around an hour.

00:16:38 - 00:16:40 | Speaker 6:

Are you sure? Can you do this to people?

00:16:40 - 00:16:44 | Speaker 5:

I told them all my name is Megan Mick, so if I get any complaints from the Swifties.

00:16:45 - 00:16:45 | Speaker 3:

Honestly, reasonable.

00:16:45 - 00:16:54 | Speaker 2:

Tim Allen paying a visit, excuse me, to his buddy Jay Leno at the Grossman Burn Center yesterday and gave the paparazzi waiting outside a little update on his friend.

00:16:55 - 00:17:04 | Speaker 1:

Jay is good. Feeling better. and took us some car magazines. We did some jokes, which is what we do. We commiserated. We just connected his friends.

00:17:05 - 00:17:11 | Speaker 2:

So how does he look after suffering those second and third degree burns to his arms and his face?

00:17:12 - 00:17:24 | Speaker 1:

It didn't look all that good to begin with. So this is, no, his face looks great. He's going with the George Clooney look. You're going to be surprised. He's handsome and he's happy and the hospital's doing a great job. I like Tim Allen. He's great.

00:17:24 - 00:17:53 | Speaker 2:

Ellen Pompeo is officially saying farewell to Meredith Grey. She made the announcement that she is leaving Grey's Anatomy, saying she is eternally grateful and humbled by the love and support. She's appeared in more than 400 episodes during her 19 seasons with this show. And I know there were a lot of recent rumors that she might reunite with her former Grey's co-star Patrick Dempsey to do a new show. She did shoot down those rumors, but she did say she would definitely be back to visit Grey's from time to time.

00:17:53 - 00:18:08 | Speaker 6:

My wife and my son, Jacob, love that show so much. They watch them together, like, while in separate cities. They watch them and then talk to each other. And I said, you do a show for that long, it can't be that good. And they swear that every season has been good at that show.

00:18:08 - 00:18:11 | Speaker 3:

In order, SVU would disagree.

00:18:13 - 00:18:14 | Speaker 5:

Season 83. Right.

00:18:15 - 00:18:18 | Speaker 2:

Plus, I think the Simpsons were, like, in season 201.

00:18:18 - 00:18:22 | Speaker 5:

Well, but also, as a huge Simpsons fan, that show's also not really what it used to be.

00:18:22 - 00:19:03 | Speaker 2:

But SVU. Emily Ratajkowski is supposedly dating Pete Davidson. But get this and talk about awkward. Pete used to be, maybe still is, I don't know, friends with Emily's soon-to-be ex-husband, Sebastian Bear McClard. They used to go to NBA games together from time to time. They were always photographing together. He also executive produced the 2022 movie Bodies, Bodies, Bodies, which Pete was in. There's like a connection there. Now he's dating Emily. I don't know. By the way, she hinted that she is interested in dating multiple people, perhaps. Not just Pete. She was on TikTok yesterday and filmed herself mouthing the words to this audio right here.

00:19:04 - 00:19:14 | Speaker 3:

I would be with multiple men. I would be with also some women as well. Everyone's hot, but in an interesting way.

00:19:14 - 00:19:22 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. She was making a statement? Well, that's been a theme over the last two years for her. In interviews, she's always said, I don't want to be locked down to one person. And I want to continue to date multiple people.

00:19:23 - 00:19:50 | Speaker 2:

And earlier this week, the CEO of CNN was quoted as saying drinking on camera has hurt the network's respectability. And I'm guessing that reference was a nod to the annual New Year's Eve broadcast that Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper do, which tends to get pretty wild if you've never seen it. They drink a lot. Well, Andy Cohen responded to that on Watch What Happens Live last night.

00:19:50 - 00:20:00 | Speaker 6:

This variety headline from today, it was, CNN plans to sober up the New Year's Eve coverage. The article...

00:20:00 - 00:20:22 | Speaker 1:

does point out that Anderson and I are still allowed to drink. I just want you to know, Anderson and I are going to party harder than we have ever partied before on New Year's Eve. Do you understand this? Do you understand? My spirit animal. Why does he sound like a sorority girl?

Let's go! Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. And another world-famous phone scam is next.

00:20:35 - 00:21:06 | Speaker 1:

We are your home of the phone scams. The Mojo in the Morning Show. Tammy got a shut-off notice from her internet service provider, and it was an obvious mistake. She called them to get it all sorted out and had such a long wait to kind of, you know, get through to them that she hit the callback feature. Her husband sent us the number and then let us know that she is sitting around waiting for the callback from her internet service provider. Spike did a phone scam on her.

00:21:06 - 00:21:11 | Speaker 2:

Hello? You're home with the phone scams. This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:21:13 - 00:21:20 | Speaker 4:

Hello? Hi, this is Lenny Lenardsworth calling from a ******, and I'm looking for Tammy ******, please.

00:21:20 - 00:21:21 | Speaker 3:

Hi, this is Tammy.

00:21:21 - 00:21:31 | Speaker 4:

You had called and pushed the callback button with a complaint about your service. So I'm returning the call to see how we can help you this morning. Can I just get your date of birth to ensure that I'm talking to the proper customer?

00:21:32 - 00:21:35 | Speaker 3:

Sure. It's 2-21-81.

00:21:35 - 00:21:44 | Speaker 4:

All right, great. And just to confirm, we are on a recorded line just so we can help improve service. Can I get a summary of what your complaint was about service, please?

00:21:44 - 00:21:49 | Speaker 3:

Yes. I just received a notice from you guys and my internet is down.

00:21:49 - 00:21:50 | Speaker 4:

What did the notice say?

00:21:50 - 00:21:58 | Speaker 3:

The notice said that I was getting disconnected for a non-payment of my bill, Yeah, pay your bill

00:21:58 - 00:22:00 | Speaker 4:

Just pay your bill

00:22:00 - 00:22:04 | Speaker 3:

No, I paid my bill That's why I wanted you to call me back

00:22:04 - 00:22:07 | Speaker 4:

Well, we don't send disconnect notices if you pay your bill You obviously didn't pay your bill

00:22:07 - 00:22:13 | Speaker 3:

Well, there's something in the computer I beg to give her because I have my bank statement No, but do you understand what I'm saying?

00:22:13 - 00:22:16 | Speaker 4:

It's not a difficult concept Pay your bill or your internet gets shut off

00:22:16 - 00:22:24 | Speaker 3:

00:22:58 - 00:22:59 | Speaker 3:

Of course not.

00:23:00 - 00:23:03 | Speaker 4:

Well, then how do you know what our computer is doing and that we have a problem?

00:23:03 - 00:23:11 | Speaker 3:

Because I have the check sub here, and your computer has completely f***ed up and made it insane for me that I'm going to get a disconnection.

00:23:11 - 00:23:17 | Speaker 4:

Pay your bill. Obviously, whatever check you sent didn't make it to us. Do you want everything for free?

00:23:17 - 00:23:19 | Speaker 3:

There was a bill paid.

00:23:19 - 00:23:28 | Speaker 4:

We have no way of verifying if that's true. This is insanity. If you don't like us, get another internet provider. Oh, right. That's right. You can't. We're the only one in your neighborhood.

00:23:28 - 00:23:29 | Speaker 3:

Exactly. Yeah.

00:23:30 - 00:23:32 | Speaker 4:

So then maybe you should start paying us.

00:23:32 - 00:23:38 | Speaker 3:

Okay, this is complete. Excuse my language. I need your name right now. What was your name again?

00:23:39 - 00:23:39 | Speaker 4:

Name's Lenny.

00:23:40 - 00:23:41 | Speaker 3:

And your last name?

00:23:41 - 00:23:42 | Speaker 4:

Lenersworth.

00:23:42 - 00:23:45 | Speaker 3:

You need to transfer me to your supervisor.

00:23:45 - 00:24:22 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I got the answer. Oh, I figured it out. Why don't you drive your little a** down to Starbucks and use their free internet? Okay, hang on a second. Gus, there's a lady on the line that didn't pay her bill, and she thinks she should get free internet without paying her bill. Oh, my God. Your internet doesn't work, and now your phone sounds like it's not working. Do you pay any of your bills? Nope. So, you right now are on the Mojo in the Morning show. You've just been phone scammed, Tammy.

00:24:23 - 00:24:23 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

00:24:23 - 00:24:31 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. Are you sweating? Because I'm sweating.

00:24:32 - 00:24:34 | Speaker 3:

Sweating? I mean, my God. You've got to be...

00:24:34 - 00:24:35 | Unknown:

Oh, my God.

00:24:35 - 00:24:37 | Speaker 3:

I'm a failure. Oh, my God.

00:24:37 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 2:

We will, we will scam you. You've just been scammed. Sorry about that. We're expected in hell. You're home of the world famous phone scams. Mojo in the morning. It's Mojo in the mornings 5 at 655.

00:25:00 - 00:27:58 | Speaker 1:

5 and 6.55, yo, 5 and 6.55, yo, no. All right, time now for the 5 of 6.55. It's Mojo in the Morning, Channel 955, 92.5 KISS FM, and 104.5 SNX. Reigning champion, Olivia. Hello, Olivia. How are you doing? Good morning. How are you? Good. Going for your second win in a row. Yesterday was kind of an interesting one, wasn't it? Yeah. A little kind of crazy. These last couple ones have had some kind of controversy to them. And I like it. I really do. Oh, yeah. You know, you can't always have five out of fives here, and you can't always have people, like, you know, being happy with everything. We've got to stir it up a little bit. Maybe today, though, we'll be different. Jasmine is your challenger calling us from Grand Rapids. Jasmine, have you been out driving this morning? Nope, and I don't want to be. Can you take it easy and not go out, or what's the story? I'm hoping my work closes down today. Oh, wow. We'll see. All right, be careful. You want us to make a call? We can put a call in for you. Yeah. Mike, close it down, please. All right, be safe out there. Everybody listening to us on SNX, be very, very safe. And, of course, in the Detroit area, too, they're getting hit with this. Megan, again, gets nothing. Toledo usually, Toledo just gets the tornadoes and stuff. That's all they get. All right. Ready? I'm going to lock you up in a soundproof area, Olivia. We're going to begin the 5 at 655. Jasmine, five questions. Whoever gets the most right wins. Ty always goes to the champion. Question number one. This former That's So Raven star says that she was catfished by The View after they revamped the show and said that they wouldn't talk about politics. Raven Simone. Question number two. During the performance of his song Kiwi, this One Direction alum was hit in the eye with a handful of Skittles after a fan threw it on stage at his concert. Terry Styles. Question number three, the NFL moved the Bills-Browns game to Detroit this weekend because this NFL city is getting clobbered with snow. Buffalo, New York. Question number four, Steph Curry, Tom Brady, and his ex-wife Gisele Boonshin have been sued following the collapse of a popular crypto exchange app that they endorsed. True or false, the company did not have enough money to pay the app users. True. And question number five. Actor Owen Wilson celebrates his 54th birthday today. Owen is known for his role as John Beckwith in which wedding comedy? What was the name of that? Could you repeat the question, please? Actor Owen Wilson celebrates his 54th birthday today. Owen is best known for his role as John Beckwith in which wedding comedy? Three seconds.

00:28:02 - 00:30:51 | Speaker 1:

Pass on that one. Too much time. All right, we'll bring Champ back from the soundproof area. Still did well, though. Jasmine got four out of five. Oh, wow. All right, Olivia, four out of five. It's going to be a good one today. Question number one. This former That's So Raven star says that she was catfished by The View after they said the revamped show would not talk politics? Raiden Smoke. Correct. Of course, one-to-one. Question number two. During a performance of his song Kiwi, this One Direction alum was hit in the eye with a handful of Skittles after fans threw it on stage at his concert. Harry Styles. Yes. Two-to-two. Question three. The NFL moved the Bills-Browns game to Detroit this weekend because this NFL city is getting clobbered with snow. Buffalo? Yes. Three to three. You've got to miss both of these questions in order to make Jasmine our champion. Question number four. Steph Curry, Tom Brady, and his ex-wife Gisele Boonchen have been sued following the collapse of a popular crypto exchange app that they endorsed. True or false? The company didn't have enough money to pay the app users. True. Yes. Four to four. And question number five, this is the only question that was missed by Jasmine. Actor Owen Wilson celebrates his 54th birthday today. Owen is known for his role as John Beckwith in which wedding comedy? Wedding Crashers? You got it. Yes. Final score, five to four. Congratulations. Perfect again. See, it's boring. It's boring when everybody's perfect. There's no controversy. Well, I'm sorry. I know. I love when there is controversy. And then people all day long are sending us DMs complaining, you guys have compromised the five of six. 55. It's kind of like how Jeopardy is getting all this backlash now because of some of their questions and stuff. Now they're doing that with us on the 5 and 655. We have a parting gift for you. Jasmine, we're going to set you up with tickets to go to WWE SmackDown. It's coming January 20th at the Little Caesars Arena in downtown Detroit. Tickets on sale today at Ticketmaster.com. By the way, they will have those tickets on Ticketmaster.com today. They will not have the Taylor Swift tickets, but guess what? We got them for you. Hold on one second. It's Mojo in the morning. 5 is 6.55. Mojo in the morning.

00:30:51 - 00:33:51 | Speaker 1:

so i know that thanksgiving's not until next week but already starting to prepare for that our thanksgiving is going to be uh a interesting one because this is the first thanksgiving that our son joe is bringing his girlfriend home for the holiday oh this is big and are they staying in the mojo household or are they going to hotel room uh they are staying in the mojo household but they are staying on separate floors are they yes absolutely yeah joe so joe has to give up his bedroom and joe then has to sleep down in the basement and uh we have uh installed kp's grandparents' ring cams in the house. Did he protest big time? I noticed they were gone. What's that? I noticed they were missing. I thought you were saying that your grandma got rid of yours. I was going to say, wow, we talked about it yesterday. Grandma got rid of it already. He did not protest. No. This has been a protestless Thanksgiving for us, which has been kind of nice. And Jacob's coming home from Chicago. I'm interested in hearing about him. He's had a very, very busy time. I'm also wondering about his dating life only because I understand that he's gone on a couple of dates with some gentlemen, some college gentlemen. He doesn't share this with me. He just tells his mom and then his mom goes, don't bring this up. I was just going to say, there's a reason he doesn't tell you. He knows it's going to be a topic. I want to know what's going on. And then you just poke and ask questions like you already know the answer. Yeah. Chelsea calls me yesterday and says, all right, hey, we got to talk. Who did you invite to Thanksgiving dinner at the house? And I said, I haven't invited anybody. I was going to try to keep it to just the family because I feel like sometimes we do invite others. And then when we do invite others, then the focus comes off of us trying to spend time together. And it becomes entertaining others and all the rest of that stuff. And then this might be the last Thanksgiving in our house. So God willing, we sell our house, you know, so I wanted to kind of keep it like that. I did get a full turkey with everything, like the legs and everything on there, because I wanted to, I want to take a picture of like the Hallmark holiday. Yeah. So I want to have everything. So in Chelsea and those guys hate turkey, so they're going to get mad at me because it's a bigger turkey. So long story short, the reason why this becomes such an issue is my mom gave us the tradition in our house of inviting complete strangers to our Thanksgiving dinner.

00:33:51 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 1:

And when I mean complete strangers, I'm talking about there were times where we would sit at Thanksgiving dinner and the people next to us, I would have to like tell them what my name was and tell them, you know, how old I was and everything like that. Like they had no idea who I was, what I, are you a kid? Yeah, I'm, I'm, I'm Tommy. I'm on, you know, one of those things. My mom invited our mail man one time, our garbage man one time. One time she met a random person that she met like that morning when she was going to Jewel Osco grocery store, which is where I grew up in Chicago. And she was picking up last minute things. And it was a person that had nowhere to go. And she saw that they were buying like pizza, frozen pizza, tombstone frozen pizza, and a couple other things. And she says, oh, is that for, you know, later this weekend or whatever? And they're like, no, this is what I'm having tonight. And she's like, you're coming to my house. I love that. It was crazy. So this tradition has come to us where I've tried to invite the random people sometimes at the radio station or friends that.

00:35:00 - 00:36:03 | Speaker 3:

have I met through the years here in Detroit the funniest was I was on the phone with my nieces Audrey and Madeline and my sister Tracy has definitely become my mom in so many different ways last year at Thanksgiving Madeline and Audrey were sitting at the Thanksgiving dinner table and the doorbell rang and they go to answer the door and they're like that's the Starbucks barista My sister invited the woman who is at Starbucks every day that they see every single day. And what she finds out, and this is something that my mom used to do, is she finds out a little bit about some people. And then you find out, you know, that they have no family or they're maybe estranged from family. And so she would invite those people in her thing that she used to always say. She was very Catholic. She was like, Jesus would have done this. this was this is very jesus jesus would have invited and then she would go to the whole thing of telling us the stories in the bible about you know how jesus was friends with there was a seat

00:36:03 - 00:36:06 | Speaker 2:

for everybody at the table everybody at the table everybody there was a seat for did you know when

00:36:06 - 00:36:24 | Speaker 3:

the baby jesus was there it was all people that weren't family and friends so are you thinking that you need to invite somebody random no i want to keep it no honestly no offense to to you uh any of the people that I meet over the course of the next few days, I'm not going to ask you any questions about your life.

00:36:26 - 00:36:27 | Speaker 5:

You don't want to find out somebody's lonely.

00:36:28 - 00:37:08 | Speaker 2:

I'll be so tempted. It does kill me though when I find out like I did this for Easter. I have a teacher friend of mine who I met through doing our March's Reading Month when we go, you know, to all of the local schools and read. Oh yeah. And she did not have a place to eat Easter dinner. We do Easter brunch in our house. And I was like, you are not sitting at home alone and so i had her come and meet my family and it was such a nice lady i know you i but like it breaks my heart when i hear that people don't have a place to go for like thanksgiving or just any holiday in general so i i love that tradition but i also understand that you just want to keep it to your family especially if it's the last thanksgiving right fingers crossed

00:37:08 - 00:37:12 | Speaker 3:

you're gonna happen hi doreen what's going on it's mojo in the morning good morning guys

00:37:12 - 00:37:27 | Speaker 1:

Well, Mojo, since you were talking about Thanksgiving, my older three kids will be with their dad. So it's going to be myself, my youngest, and son and daughter. So would you like to invite us?

00:37:28 - 00:37:36 | Speaker 5:

Well, it sounds like you're surrounded by family. It sounds lovely. You got all your children with you. I'm like family. Hold on a second.

00:37:37 - 00:37:41 | Speaker 3:

God, are you still there? We must have a bad connection, Doreen.

00:37:43 - 00:37:48 | Speaker 2:

I love you guys. Oh, we love you too, Doreen. Remember when you had my family in Chicago? Your sister had my family.

00:37:48 - 00:37:50 | Speaker 3:

That was Tracy. That's my mom.

00:37:50 - 00:38:09 | Speaker 2:

That was Tracy because my sister was going to school in Chicago. She was going to Columbia College at the time, and we didn't want her to be alone. So we were going to travel to Chicago and have Thanksgiving at, like, find a restaurant that was open or something. And you and Tracy were like, no way. You're coming over. I thought that was so nice. I still remember that. Yeah, it was okay. It was okay. Shut up.

00:38:09 - 00:38:35 | Speaker 3:

Can I tell you something that there have been some really fun ones that we've had at our house that the person who is, like, the random person coming over turns out to be, like, the best person ever because, A, I don't know how to carve a turkey. I'm, like, the worst at it. So, usually it's like, oh, my God, you know how to carve a turkey? You're amazing. Or they help out more. They clean up after everything. It's like we try to say, no, no, you're a guest here. It's true.

00:38:35 - 00:38:46 | Speaker 5:

And unless they're the new hire, producer Ellen, who you invited over because she had no family. Oh, my God. She didn't clean up after. She threw up after. And by the way.

00:38:46 - 00:38:48 | Speaker 2:

I feel like I need to defend her because she's not here.

00:38:49 - 00:38:58 | Speaker 3:

There's no defense for that. Right? It's the best. And that might actually have been the last time that we've ever invited anybody over.

00:38:58 - 00:39:04 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. This year, I'm subbing turkey for alcohol so I can tolerate my family.

00:39:04 - 00:39:07 | Speaker 3:

Happy Thanksgiving from Mojo in the Morning.

00:39:08 - 00:39:12 | Speaker 4:

Don't miss this in Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Oh, man. In minutes.

00:39:12 - 00:39:28 | Speaker 2:

This Taylor Swift debacle with Ticketmaster. We will give you everything we know and update on that. And Chris Hemsworth talking about how he is at very high risk for developing Alzheimer's disease. Tell you that story coming up in The Dirty.

00:39:28 - 00:39:32 | Speaker 3:

And don't go anywhere. Jingle Ball tickets and Taylor Swift tickets this hour.

00:39:58 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 5:

And

00:40:00 - 00:40:05 | Speaker 3:

And since we've no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

00:40:05 - 00:40:06 | Speaker 4:

Holly, what just happened?

00:40:07 - 00:40:13 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I just got rear-ended. Oh, my God. Oh, I'm so sorry. Not a good start to the day.

00:40:14 - 00:40:22 | Speaker 1:

Definitely not, but everybody's okay. So I haven't even got out of my car to see the damage yet. I'm on telegraph, so it's a little scary to get out of my car. Dude, telegraph was bad this morning.

00:40:22 - 00:40:23 | Speaker 2:

I took telegraph in.

00:40:24 - 00:40:33 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's rough. I drove all the way from Taylor, and there's no snow in Taylor. So I was listening to you guys this morning talk about the roads are bad. And I'm like, what do you mean? And then I got to Waterford and realized, oh, never mind.

00:40:33 - 00:40:33 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah.

00:40:33 - 00:40:58 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it's like it's, you know, it's coming from the weather guy. I'm pointing to the map right now. It's coming from the west, from western Michigan, and it's kind of bustling its way across and hitting parts of the metro Detroit area. And then this is part of that system that's going to cause for all that big snow to hit the east coast, too. Absolutely.

00:40:58 - 00:41:04 | Speaker 1:

I love you guys, and I'm so glad I got to call you, but the cops just pulled up, so I'm going to let you guys go. Oh, man, good luck.

00:41:04 - 00:41:34 | Speaker 4:

All right, be careful, okay? All right, take care of yourself, Holly. Thank you. Oh, my gosh. Stinks. That sucks. I slid through two intersections today, and one of the intersections had multiple cars coming. Usually it's like I don't see as much traffic. For some reason I saw a lot more traffic today, and I think it's just because everybody's probably driving a little bit slower or hopefully leaving a little bit earlier just because they know that the weather is going to be bad. But all right, be careful. West Michigan, do we have school closings, Mike, in West Michigan?

00:41:34 - 00:41:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, there's a lot. Yeah, we do have them all up at 104.5SNX.com, but I know for sure Grand Rapids public schools are closed. My daughter's schools closed. Most of the schools closed last night, like late last night.

00:41:46 - 00:41:47 | Speaker 2:

How excited was Cecily?

00:41:47 - 00:42:05 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I woke her up. She did all those traditions. I don't know if Lucy does those, but like you put a piece of snow or ice in the toilet and you put a spoon under your pillow. Yeah. Yeah, she did all those. So I woke her up at like 9, 30, 10 o'clock. And I was like, guess what? And she got scared at first. I was like, guess what? School's close. Yay!

00:42:06 - 00:42:43 | Speaker 4:

Oh, it's the best delivering that news. You know, it's funny. We were talking earlier about how Mike took yesterday off to go play video games. How pissed would you have been if the day that you took off and pre-planned for it turned out to be today? And all the kids were running around? Yeah. The kids at home? Oh, that would have been just your luck, wouldn't it? Yeah, right. Oh, man. All right, well, good reason to get all your work done and race home so that you can play more Call of Duty. Mojo in the Morning Show, phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Put your phone away. So where was your boyfriend, Wes?

00:42:43 - 00:44:22 | Speaker 2:

So he was at the gym, and I feel like this is an unspoken rule, or maybe it's an actual rule. And I can't, I can't like recall if Planet Fitness has this in their, um, locker rooms. He wasn't at a Planet Fitness, but I know when I go, I don't, I don't necessarily ever go in the locker room. I just go and work out and then go home. I don't shower or anything or change or anything there. But, um, so he was at the gym and he ended up, some high school kids tried to fight him, which I think is so funny. They were like high school college. Uh, and so he, he went and he worked out and he was in the locker room after his workout and he showered and was changing into his clothes and he said there were there were like other people in there and then there was this group of these like high school boys and one of them was facetiming his girlfriend right in the middle of the locker room where a bunch of people walking around half naked right are taking showers and changing so he let it go he was like okay whatever like obviously this kid's not gonna be on the phone for that long well the the kid gets off the phone gets off the FaceTime with his girlfriend and then him and his buddies start taking the mirror selfie pictures again while there's all these people in the background showering changing whatever I didn't I thought there was a sign posted too and so Wes said I very nicely and he's like seriously very nicely said you know dude you're not really supposed to have your phone in the locker room like for various reasons whatever and so you know the kid put his phone away. The other kids put their phone away. Well, Wes said when he was walking out to his car, the guys tried to confront him and wanted to fight. Oh, really? Hey, old man. Wow. Wow. You can't do that,

00:44:22 - 00:44:28 | Speaker 4:

right? Or Wes needs to go all karate kid on them. That sounds like... He's like, I don't have the energy

00:44:28 - 00:44:29 | Speaker 2:

for this.

00:44:29 - 00:44:37 | Speaker 4:

That to me sounds like something that you would see in the karate kid or whatever.

00:44:38 - 00:44:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, except he gets arrested for beating up a bunch of kids who started the whole thing.

00:44:41 - 00:44:43 | Speaker 2:

Which he would never, but...

00:44:43 - 00:44:43 | Speaker 3:

They should.

00:44:44 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 4:

They might need to beat the snot out of those kids to wake them up a little bit. Hold on a second. I'm trying to find the song. What song? We can live... Oh, you don't know what song? Hold on a second. Well, I don't know what song you're trying to take. Then it's coming. Then it's coming. Oh, I can't wait. Hold on a second. I'm a little...

00:45:00 - 00:45:05 | Speaker 6:

slow today i'm a little tired and groggier today than i have been for a while uh the anticipation

00:45:05 - 00:45:09 | Speaker 4:

is killing me hey god i know hurry it up over there it's gonna be how do you spell karate

00:45:09 - 00:45:32 | Speaker 6:

k-a-r oh my god there you go hold on a second hold on karate kid where the hell is it i added in here as the karate kid music all right you're the best around oh yeah yeah all right it doesn't work. The joke doesn't work, especially when I can't spell how I put it in the system.

00:45:32 - 00:45:33 | Speaker 5:

That's the joke, how you

00:45:33 - 00:45:34 | Speaker 6:

spell it. I know.

00:45:35 - 00:45:41 | Speaker 5:

That's not how you spell karate? Oh my god. But how do people not know you don't record in a locker room?

00:45:41 - 00:45:43 | Speaker 6:

I mean, that's just common sense.

00:45:43 - 00:45:45 | Speaker 4:

We're talking to the same human

00:45:45 - 00:46:29 | Speaker 6:

beings, and I'm not picking on teenage kids. I'm picking on anybody with a phone. That we were at church about three or four weeks ago, and the guy behind us was on the phone talking to somebody in the middle of church. The priest is in the middle of doing some of the normal stuff that they do. Bless you, bless me, bless others. You hear the guy behind going, yeah, okay, I'll be there in a little bit. I'm going, is he talking to the person next to him? I turn around and look, the guy's full-fledged on his phone having a conversation. People do that. People pull their phones out in in places where you're like you can't have your phone on right now right you can't do that it's

00:46:29 - 00:46:39 | Speaker 4:

one thing to go into like a corner of you know planet fitness and take a photo a progress photo or whatever where there's nobody else around but to FaceTime right in the middle no it's yeah that's

00:46:39 - 00:46:51 | Speaker 6:

not something to do especially with when you got you know Wes walking out of the out of the shower although you give him something to look at here I'll give you I'll give your girlfriend something to look at on FaceTime then Wes will be the one getting in trouble because he's the older person

00:46:51 - 00:47:06 | Speaker 1:

naked in front of a teenager what's going on okay i have to talk about this because i feel like it's an epidemic when you go into the gym and almost everybody is filming themselves working out they've got tripods and dslrs you're just like oh my gosh everyone's trying to be i saw that the

00:47:06 - 00:47:12 | Speaker 4:

other day a tripod yes these two guys had a tripod and were filming themselves doing their

00:47:12 - 00:47:22 | Speaker 1:

workout it's bad enough that i have to wait for a squat rack but i have to wait for you to white balance your dslr so that you can film yourself that's why i love planet fitness just they just

00:47:22 - 00:47:27 | Speaker 5:

put signs up like no phones no recording just work out stop it well everybody the problem is

00:47:27 - 00:47:37 | Speaker 6:

everybody in listen you guys do this too we all do this take pictures because they want to like post something for some reason i have no idea why well a lot of it's accountability like i'm

00:47:37 - 00:47:47 | Speaker 1:

there i showed up i can't say this right i have literally have a story on my instagram with my me at the gym and the reason i have it is for my own accountability when i was struggling but

00:47:47 - 00:47:52 | Speaker 4:

But you're smart about, like, not doing it when you see another lady walking out of the shower.

00:47:52 - 00:47:58 | Speaker 1:

And I'm not hogging equipment. I put it down to making sure no one else is in the shot, and it's not an inconvenience to other gym goers.

00:47:58 - 00:48:08 | Speaker 5:

Like, I take a picture of my feet running on the treadmill real fast. And, like, Reese takes a picture walking in the building every day of the Planet Fitness. And I'm like, that's okay. You're not bothering any of the other people working out.

00:48:08 - 00:48:15 | Speaker 6:

See, I don't want, though, I don't want to even see the camera out looking. And then, you know, if you have it.

00:48:15 - 00:48:19 | Speaker 5:

Well, everybody's got their phone out. Everybody's either watching something or reading something.

00:48:19 - 00:48:27 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. But keep it up on the little holder up there. What is the DLSR? What are you talking about?

00:48:27 - 00:48:31 | Speaker 5:

The fancy cameras, the DSLRs. That's what they're called. Oh, really? The big digital.

00:48:31 - 00:48:51 | Speaker 6:

You can tell that she's a TikToker because she sometimes will have conversations with me and she'll bring a lingo into it. And I'm like, KP, speak to me like I am a 50-year-old man. And I don't know what you're talking about. i'm like i'm like i i i have no idea the technical aspects of what we're doing here right now right

00:48:51 - 00:48:57 | Speaker 1:

why don't you please just speak english maybe i can understand yes well that's what they've

00:48:57 - 00:49:04 | Speaker 5:

been called for photographers for 20 years but i don't ever say that to people who aren't photographers i just say my real camera so you know it's not the phone it's the the big chunky

00:49:04 - 00:49:19 | Speaker 6:

one i try to act like i'm cool and know what she's talking about i'm like yeah yeah yeah I hasten to bring the thingamajig with the OPPs and the DSLs. We're all potties, right? We're all podgy. Don't you know podcasters are called potties? What? I don't know.

00:49:20 - 00:49:21 | Speaker 3:

I think you made that up.

00:49:21 - 00:49:23 | Speaker 6:

What's going on? How you doing, Molly?

00:49:24 - 00:49:35 | Speaker 3:

Hey. Yeah, I was in Grand Rapids over the weekend seeing a musical. And saddest moment, somebody just died, and somebody's phone goes off behind me.

00:49:35 - 00:49:44 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my gosh. Yeah, that's a big one. Like when you're in a movie or a show like you're in, you can't have the – did they have an obnoxious ring?

00:49:46 - 00:49:50 | Speaker 2:

Oh, it wasn't too obnoxious, but they left it going for like too long.

00:49:50 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, there's nothing worse than if they have their phone on and it's on old people volume where it's so long.

00:50:00 - 00:50:22 | Speaker 3:

It's so loud that all you're hearing is that thing nonstop through the thing. Have you guys ever been, Megan, I know you've been to a bunch of shows, but have you ever been to a show where the people, the actors or the actresses actually will stop the show because somebody's phone is ringing in the middle of the thing? You know? So horrible. That was a sound effect, by the way. Oh, I thought. Yeah, no, I didn't do it on cue. We all just looked at our phone.

00:50:22 - 00:50:23 | Speaker 5:

I did too.

00:50:23 - 00:50:26 | Speaker 3:

Have you ever been there and then they yell at them, like, turn your phone off?

00:50:26 - 00:50:34 | Speaker 5:

No, because you know what? They've noticed now a couple of times it's happened to people who were using hearing devices because they were hard of hearing, and then it's very embarrassing.

00:50:35 - 00:50:37 | Speaker 3:

Wait, what does a hearing device sound like?

00:50:38 - 00:50:47 | Speaker 5:

Well, it's not necessarily that their phones are going off, but some of the actors think that they're on their phones, and it's really just like a listening device to help them hear better. Yeah.

00:50:47 - 00:50:53 | Speaker 1:

Or sometimes they do that for blind people, too, so that they can get a description of what's going on on stage. Yeah.

00:50:53 - 00:51:08 | Speaker 3:

Well, the audible sound is obviously not, right? If you got all of a sudden, you got the audible and then the person has like some song playing, you know, if you start hearing like Bon Jovi, you know, blaring or something like that on somebody's ringback tone.

00:51:08 - 00:51:20 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I was at a Broadway show where the person behind me is like on their phone going, I'm at the show. I have to call you back tomorrow. I'm like, oh my God, why did you answer? Was that your mom?

00:51:20 - 00:51:34 | Speaker 3:

By the way, don't you guys think that Wes has every right to beat the crap out of us? a teenager like a cop would turn the other way and go you had every right to beat the crap out of the teenager that you told them twice for you if a teenager waits for you in a parking lot

00:51:35 - 00:51:38 | Speaker 1:

because they were literally just waiting outside for me

00:51:41 - 00:51:49 | Speaker 3:

if a teenager waits for you in the parking lot you have every right there's a group of them oh absolutely of them because then you start like

00:51:49 - 00:51:54 | Speaker 5:

snapping while you're walking towards each other slowly like west side story no but then it's

00:51:54 - 00:52:03 | Speaker 4:

self-defense and then they look back at the cameras of the parking lot and they see them waiting for you. So then you get off scot-free. It's like a free beating. Yeah. It's a free lesson for those teenagers. Why are we

00:52:03 - 00:52:08 | Speaker 5:

free for like it's a get away with fighting. No. Yeah but there's also

00:52:08 - 00:52:17 | Speaker 2:

there's also that chance too that he doesn't not saying that he wouldn't but that he doesn't win the fight and then that's on camera. That you just lost a fight to a bunch of teenagers.

00:52:17 - 00:52:27 | Speaker 3:

Would we hear about it? This story would never have been brought up because if I was Wes I would not even repeat it if I got beat up by a bunch of teenagers What's going on, Dorothy?

00:52:28 - 00:52:32 | Speaker 8:

Hi, yes. First time caller. I've been listening for a couple of hours.

00:52:32 - 00:52:33 | Speaker 3:

Aw, yay!

00:52:34 - 00:52:35 | Speaker 8:

We're so glad you called.

00:52:35 - 00:52:36 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

00:52:37 - 00:53:03 | Speaker 8:

Okay, I was at Planet Fitness the other day, and I was waiting for a treadmill. And it was a girl that was on the phone. It seemed like she was having an argument with her boyfriend. And I'm just sitting there waiting, and she was just cussing him out. So the employee came over that was cleaning the equipment. He said, hey, you can't be on your phone. And he started going off on him Dropping the F-bomb Her phone, she can do whatever And I was just like, okay Yeah

00:53:03 - 00:53:12 | Speaker 3:

Do they not understand that You know I'm trying to think of a Planet Fitness slogan right now What would be a good Planet Fitness slogan for that person Yeah, no long cat

00:53:12 - 00:53:18 | Speaker 8:

They should have like the bell You know, you like get the alarm Yeah, they should have

00:53:18 - 00:53:24 | Speaker 3:

Actually, call Brian Reif and see if we can get a bell For people that have their phones on too much Julie, hi.

00:53:24 - 00:53:33 | Speaker 6:

Hi. Okay, real quick, because I'm about to lose you. We're at the airport. Okay. So how about when you're in the movie theater, and instead of the ringers going off really loud, they have the strobe light.

00:53:33 - 00:53:34 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh.

00:53:34 - 00:53:38 | Speaker 4:

They think they put it to silence. It's not distracting, but it looks like a disco going on up there.

00:53:39 - 00:53:44 | Speaker 3:

That's funny. Yeah. Whitney, what's up? Be safe on your flight, by the way, if you're going on a flight. What's going on, Whitney?

00:53:45 - 00:53:55 | Speaker 7:

What's going on? Good morning. So, I work at Lifetime, and there are always, like, in the evenings, there's always younger kids after school TikTok-ing in the locker room. Yeah.

00:53:55 - 00:53:59 | Speaker 4:

We're getting a lot of text messages of people saying that in the same spot. Yep, yep.

00:53:59 - 00:54:13 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. It's like, I mean, and, like, as an employee, you have to say something. And, yeah, so, I'm like, every time I'm in there, I'm like, it's a locker room. And they'll get me like, oh, we didn't know. There's naked people walking around here. What didn't you know? Right, right.

00:54:13 - 00:54:17 | Speaker 3:

Do you give permission to Wes to give a citizen's arrest next time that that happens?

00:54:18 - 00:54:24 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, absolutely. All right. Thank you. Have a good day, guys. Take care. Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:54:24 - 00:54:28 | Speaker 3:

Taylor Swift tickets. We have them for you coming up in just a little bit.

00:54:28 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 1:

We have them. Ticketmaster does not. Taylor Swift fans, not super happy with Ticketmaster this morning after they canceled the public on sale for taylor's eras tour just days after that disastrous pre-sale process ticket master posting to their social media yesterday quote due to extraordinarily high demands on ticketing systems and insufficient remaining ticket inventory to meet that demand tomorrow today's public on sale for taylor swift the eras tour has been canceled now greg maffie it.

00:55:00 - 00:55:08 | Speaker 4:

He is the CEO of Liberty Media, one of the owners of Live Nation, and Live Nation owns Ticketmaster. And he just said this was truly unprecedented.

00:55:09 - 00:55:50 | Speaker 1:

Reality is, it's a function of the massive demand that Taylor Swift has. The site was supposed to be opened up for 1.5 million verified Taylor Swift fans. We had 14 million people hit the site, including bots, another story, which are not supposed to be there. and despite all the challenges and the breakdowns we did sell over two million tickets that day we could have filled 900 stadiums he said he knows there are a lot of unhappy swifties today i apologize to all our fans we are working hard on this and again you know building capacity for peak demand is something we attempt to do but this exceeded every expectation and the reality is taylor swift hasn't been on the road for three or four years and that's caused a Huge-ish.

00:55:51 - 00:55:57 | Speaker 4:

I feel like he kind of said, well, if you would have toured more, this wouldn't be a problem. Do you think you took it that way? I did take it that way.

00:55:57 - 00:56:00 | Speaker 5:

Did you watch the whole interview? Because if you watch the whole interview, he kind of says, this is-

00:56:00 - 00:56:02 | Speaker 4:

She's just so famous.

00:56:02 - 00:56:30 | Speaker 5:

That's what he said. He said, she is just so popular and hasn't toured in a while. Yeah. The reason why I say that is I think that when they anticipated how crazy things were, especially with seeing how much she's been selling album-wise and music-wise, I think that they needed to go back Probably to that fan club Presale thing And it used to be that artists only did A presale, like one presale Now they do like multiple Three or four

00:56:30 - 00:56:37 | Speaker 4:

Well it's like if you have this credit card If you're in this fan club You know they have all these different ones

00:56:37 - 00:56:46 | Speaker 2:

And a lot of times there are not a lot of seats They're doing it for the sponsor Like Capital One Visa They'll have a little tiny section It's not a lot at each show

00:56:46 - 00:56:48 | Speaker 5:

But it doesn't seem like they limited them for this. But that's the thing.

00:56:49 - 00:57:06 | Speaker 2:

They let everybody register and get ready for it, but they didn't limit how many people could try for them. So I have a Capital One Visa card. I can try for all these pre-sales. All I got to do is put in the last six digits of my card number, and I can get them. So everybody that knows somebody with a credit card is trying, and it just crashes the system.

00:57:07 - 00:57:30 | Speaker 3:

Don't forget that a lot of people got those early access codes by supporting her financially by buying her merch. So you incentivize people to give you money to get a chance to get tickets Where then you exploit them and overprice them It just seems so money grabby to me I can't imagine how heartbroken Swifties are today

00:57:30 - 00:57:33 | Speaker 5:

Ticketmaster gets a lot of grief for this Does Taylor get any grief for this?

00:57:33 - 00:57:40 | Speaker 4:

Well, lots of people are saying she needs to address the situation People kept posting, this has gone too far, she needs to say something She hasn't said anything

00:57:40 - 00:57:58 | Speaker 2:

Well, yeah, if you notice, she's been completely silent about the whole thing. And I think that's by design because she doesn't want to be the focus of this because there are other elements you can look at, like Megan said, of the expensive dynamic seating, the tickets that are really those expensive seats are going with her blessing. I mean, it's all by design before the tour goes on sale.

00:57:59 - 00:58:30 | Speaker 3:

But I think her silence is backfiring. Like, at first, a lot of people were blaming Ticketmaster, but Taylor's whole persona is that she listens to fans, that she's involved in your lives, that she follows you on social media, she sees your content, that kind of stuff. It's more of a personal relationship that she puts out on the internet. And the fact that she's been silent when a lot of people are very frustrated and hurt by her, I think it shows a lot right now that, hey, you always have our back when we give you money, but now you don't have our backs when things aren't working out for us.

00:58:30 - 00:58:38 | Speaker 2:

Oh, the Swifties don't care. The Swifties aren't going to be the hero. No, I disagree. She's going to swoop in and be the hero. No, the answer is the hero. People are pissed right now.

00:58:38 - 00:58:45 | Speaker 5:

Did you see the mathematics guy from some university that said that they sold enough tickets or they had the ability to sell enough tickets for 900 shows?

00:58:45 - 00:58:46 | Speaker 4:

900 stadium shows.

00:58:46 - 00:58:53 | Speaker 5:

900 stadium shows. And he said that she would be touring from now until like... A year and a half. Was that what it was? A year and a half straight.

00:58:53 - 00:58:54 | Speaker 2:

She did a show every night.

00:58:54 - 00:59:09 | Speaker 3:

I know. I want to get the stats on that. Again, I think part of that problem is when I wanted to buy two tickets to a show, but I needed four family members to try to buy me two tickets, it does inflate those numbers. But that just shows how difficult it is to get these tickets.

00:59:10 - 00:59:15 | Speaker 2:

And that's nothing new. I mean, the only thing here is that there's no bigger artist on the planet right now than Taylor Swift.

00:59:15 - 00:59:23 | Speaker 3:

This is the same thing I went through with Harry Styles tickets, but everybody was like, oh, who cares? But now that it's way more fans for Taylor Swift, it's a problem.

00:59:23 - 00:59:31 | Speaker 5:

That's why I say be like me and be a fan of Nicky Yor And you can get tickets to our Jingle Ball And I'm telling you

00:59:31 - 00:59:32 | Speaker 4:

I became a bigger Nicky Yor fan after this week, Spike I don't know why that is Man, was he funny

00:59:39 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 2:

If you missed the phone scam they did on me Where I thought I was talking to our Jingle Ball artist Nicky Yor Now I got a message in my inbox And I don't know if I believe it or not They said the real Nicky Yor wants to talk to me because the record label reached out because he heard the phone scam and thought it was so funny. He wants to call. Now you gotta do it. You gotta do it.

01:00:00 - 01:02:10 | Speaker 1:

All right, another dirty today with that big snowstorm hitting Buffalo right now, and it's just going to pound it over the weekend. Sunday's Bills-Browns game has been moved to Ford Field. We kind of knew that was going to happen, but western New York is expected to get up to six feet of snow by tomorrow night. I know they had thundersnow overnight. I mean, it's just a really bad weather situation up there, and the Lions played the Giants on Sunday, but over at MetLife Stadium. So Ford Field was available, and it also made sense because the Bills are playing the Lions in Detroit. on Thanksgiving next week as well. Yesterday, a judge in Florida awarded the family of Gabby Petito $3 million in a wrongful death suit filed against the estate of her killer, Brian Laundrie. The Petito family lawyer said the Petito family lost their daughter and they were also denied the opportunity to confront her killer. No amount of money is sufficient to compensate the Petito family for the loss of their daughter. Now, the suit says that Brian Laundrie's family hindered the search for Gabby, knew that they had killed her during the couple's van trip across the country, if you remember this story. Now, the amount awarded that three mil, it's an arbitrary figure. So the family doesn't have that much money. So whatever amount the Laundrie family gives will go to the Gabby Petito Foundation, which works with other organizations that help domestic violence victims and try to locate missing persons. I know his parents go on trial next summer, August of 2023. And lastly, this story, man. A Florida man arrested after causing a disturbance. Disturbance. It's Friday. Thank God. A disturbance at the Food and Wine Festival at Walt Disney's World Epcot Resort. 30-year-old Chase Holderby was being very loud and stumbling around the American Adventure Pavilion after witnesses say he chugged two beers in less than 30 seconds. Two beers. 30 seconds. Kind of impressed. He was shaking everybody's hand in line. He was high-fiving people. He was staggering around Epcot, made his way over to the Japan Pavilion, got into an argument with some random family, so security asked him to leave that area. As he headed toward those Skyliner gondolas, you know what I'm talking about if you've ever been there.

01:02:10 - 01:02:11 | Speaker 2:

Oh, God, don't go up on one of those.

01:02:11 - 01:02:17 | Speaker 1:

He was still going, just wasted. Well, he tried to get on to one of the gondola cars.

01:02:17 - 01:02:18 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:02:18 - 01:02:29 | Speaker 1:

He nearly fell off the platform way up in the air. So, if you were there, if you have family at Epcot, they had to stop the ride, which they, like, never do.

01:02:29 - 01:02:32 | Speaker 2:

Can you imagine if he got up on that thing and he goes above you? And then he gets sick and starts...

01:02:32 - 01:02:38 | Speaker 1:

Right? So, this guy was arrested on charges of trespassing and disorderly intoxication at the happiest place.

01:02:38 - 01:02:42 | Speaker 2:

Nothing more fun than bringing your kids to Disney and seeing a drunk guy.

01:02:42 - 01:02:42 | Speaker 1:

Falling off the goggles.

01:02:42 - 01:02:45 | Speaker 2:

You are drunk at a tissue level. Why are you looking at me?

01:02:45 - 01:02:49 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning Show. More concert tickets coming up in a little bit, including Taylor Swift tickets coming up here in just a little bit. Spike, you can't have it in your house, buddy.

01:03:41 - 01:04:31 | Speaker 3:

I'm just a mess. I can't have it in my house. Anything chocolate is just bad news. I bought a chocolate Snoopy Advent calendar for Meg's son. But one day after buying it last weekend, I opened it and ate some of the candy. So now I couldn't give it to him. And I kind of used the excuse like, oh, it looks like the packaging is a little ripped in the corner. Let me check. And I'm like, oh, it looks damaged. Maybe I'll just get him another one. It's not even time for Advent. No, it's not. You buy him now. No, I know, but I'm saying you don't eat him now. Well, no, but I was supposed to hold on to it and give him to him on a certain date. but now according to the advent calendar I have, there's only two days till Christmas because I ate all the chocolate. Like, you're not supposed to eat peppermint patty until Christmas Eve, but she was the first one I ate. Now I'm all the way up to Franklin, and I realized I just can't bring chocolate into my house. Snoopy's advent calendar looks like it's last year's.

01:04:32 - 01:04:44 | Speaker 2:

Does that happen to a lot of parents? I bet it does, where you buy something for your kids, like classroom or whatever, like treats, and then you're on the way home from Meijer or Kroger, and you're eating it while you're going?

01:04:44 - 01:04:57 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I ate half of my Halloween candy before Halloween. I always say, I want to get it early before they run out. And that's always my line. It's just so that starting in September, I have a vast selection of Butterfinger and M&M's.

01:04:57 - 01:05:06 | Speaker 1:

You need to do the Lego advent calendar. That's what I got for the kids. this year so there's no no food involved for me to be tempted well what's the one thing the harry

01:05:06 - 01:05:11 | Speaker 3:

potter lego advent calendar what's one thing you can't bring into your house because you'll eat

01:05:11 - 01:05:36 | Speaker 1:

all of it right away um oh god everything cereal no there this is like the most random thing ever but i really can't do it because i like go to town on it um trader joe's has these like chocolate covered pretzels they're peanut butter filled pretzels and then they cover them in milk chocolate if i bring that in the whole damn bag is gone in in one night like i just can't i can't do it

01:05:36 - 01:05:58 | Speaker 2:

anymore mine are better made barbecue chips oh the best yeah that i you bring in a bag of those things and it's like they're gone it doesn't matter how big the bag is it's a single serving even fun size ones like if i buy like if i buy the pack of all the fun size the smaller fun size ones i have to like hide the individual wrappers in different garbage cans so that chelsea doesn't

01:05:58 - 01:06:03 | Speaker 3:

do what i do you take all four bags and you tuck them into one bag so they only see one bag in the

01:06:03 - 01:06:45 | Speaker 2:

trash they don't realize it's full of three other bags yeah that's actually smart um it's funny we were talking on the more mojo podcast about the holidays and like our like candies and shannon was talking about the cereal they have elf on the shelf cereal now for the holidays yeah and stuff like that we used to in our house growing up we never got sugary cereal so all we have so i i remember when i because i moved out of the house and then was living with my sisters for a little bit when i was 16 years old because my dad uh long story short so when i moved in with my sisters they felt bad for me so they would get me all the sugary cereal i wanted i didn't realize that it wasn't a single serving size in one of those boxes and i'm not talking about the individual boxes that

01:06:45 - 01:06:58 | Speaker 1:

they used to have i'm talking about we would get captain crunch family size yeah i would eat it in one day you need to keep refilling your bowl until the milk is all gone oh yeah and then sometimes you just want a little bit more cold milk so then you add and then you keep adding cereal and to be

01:06:58 - 01:07:15 | Speaker 3:

honest the big family size by the way they're 16.9 ounces i know that because when you take them out the box is only bigger it's really not that much more cereal it's big empty poofy bag half full of air so i kind of say hey if you get more than two breakfasts out of that you're ahead of the game

01:07:15 - 01:07:27 | Speaker 1:

This is so random But I posted this on my Instagram last night It's not necessarily like a bad thing But black olives You cannot open a can of black olives around me I will eat the whole can and then want to open another one Who are you by the way I don't know

01:07:27 - 01:07:31 | Speaker 2:

Are you from a different planet Here we are talking about candy

01:07:31 - 01:07:41 | Speaker 1:

Yes my sodium levels this morning Are probably extraordinarily unhealthy Black olives No one else is going to eat them

01:07:41 - 01:07:43 | Speaker 3:

You don't have to worry about anybody stealing them first

01:07:43 - 01:07:46 | Speaker 1:

Well, you said, what can you not bring into the house without eating the whole thing?

01:07:46 - 01:07:50 | Speaker 2:

Black olives are the cans I give to the kids when they're doing a canned food drive.

01:07:52 - 01:07:53 | Speaker 1:

Hand them over.

01:07:53 - 01:08:01 | Speaker 2:

I can't believe you. Don't open pinto beans around me. I eat all the pinto beans. Oh, man. Anthony, what's going on?

01:08:02 - 01:08:03 | Speaker 1:

Hey, how's it going, guys?

01:08:03 - 01:08:05 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. What can you not have in your house?

01:08:06 - 01:08:19 | Speaker 3:

Man, I went to Costco and I found an advent beer calendar that says all different things. Yeah, Costco. I got it last year. This year, it's all German beers. They have an Advent beer calendar and an Advent wine calendar.

01:08:19 - 01:08:20 | Speaker 1:

I saw that.

01:08:20 - 01:08:30 | Speaker 3:

And listen, I already did the math. It's only $4 a wine bottle if you count all 25 because it's $100 for the pack. But there's 25 bottles. They're nice little two glass size.

01:08:30 - 01:09:28 | Speaker 2:

I was going to say, they're little. It's the season. Taylor Swift tickets. We're giving you a pair right now. And this is so important now because you heard that Ticketmaster canceled the on sale. So, concerts in June, we've got tickets right now here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, 95th Caller. You're going to win tickets. 844-665-6548, 844-MOJO-LIVE. It's Mojo in the Morning, 104.5 SNX, Channel 955, and 92.5 KISS FM. Time now for a phone scam. So Taylor Swift's world tour was supposed to go on sale this morning. But as you've heard and heard us report, Ticketmaster canceled it. After the whole Ticketmaster pre-sale debacle this week, one of our listeners told us that his wife is like a huge Taylor Swift fan, right? And she posted a special phone number.

01:09:28 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 3:

No, he told her there was a special phone number that Taylor Swift posted. After she was all mad, she couldn't get tickets. To help you set up for this phone scam? So he told her, listen, she just posted a special phone number because the Ticketmaster is not working. So he gave her the phone number, and then he gave her our phone number. So she's calling us thinking she's calling to get Taylor Swift tickets. We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song.

01:10:00 - 01:10:02 | Speaker 9:

It's your home with phone scans. Mojo in the morning.

Mike.

01:21:15 - 01:21:16 | Speaker 4:

Mike.

01:21:16 - 01:21:19 | Speaker 5:

Mike, man. Tender Lips of an Angel. Correct answer.

01:21:20 - 01:21:39 | Speaker 3:

Maybe it's a bigger night. You know who loves this song? Nickelback fans? No, Plats. Dude, I'd stay with the person if I had to listen to this as the breakup song.

01:21:52 - 01:21:54 | Speaker 4:

All right, KP, score update, please.

01:21:54 - 01:21:59 | Speaker 2:

We've got Mike and Megan both one-to-one, Shannon and Spike. Zero.

01:21:59 - 01:22:04 | Speaker 4:

By the way, I listened to a full episode of Mike and Megan's Slightly Messy Podcast.

01:22:05 - 01:22:08 | Speaker 5:

No, you didn't. You were on it. No. That's a different thing. I did listen. No, I listened.

01:22:09 - 01:22:10 | Speaker 6:

You listened for your voice.

01:22:10 - 01:22:10 | Speaker 5:

I listened to it.

01:22:10 - 01:22:27 | Speaker 4:

You listened back to the one that he was on so he could hear his voice. The 52nd episode. I listened to the entire thing. It was fantastic. Next song in the Mojo in the Morning, Throwback, Throwdown, title and artist, please, is... Mike. Mike. LMFAO Party Rock Anthem. Correct.

01:22:27 - 01:22:28 | Speaker 5:

And then.

01:22:33 - 01:22:39 | Speaker 2:

Flashback to my middle school dance. Oh, you said middle school dance, and I immediately thought the club days I used to host.

01:22:39 - 01:22:42 | Speaker 5:

I immediately thought Lake St. Clair in the mood.

01:22:44 - 01:22:46 | Speaker 4:

Chelsea might win this contest.

01:22:47 - 01:22:56 | Unknown:

Woo-hoo! Just have a cool time. Feel it, baby. Don't let you know tonight. We just want to see you.

01:22:57 - 01:22:59 | Speaker 5:

Break that. Shake that.

01:22:59 - 01:23:01 | Speaker 1:

Every day I'm suffering.

01:23:02 - 01:23:03 | Speaker 4:

All right, KP.

01:23:04 - 01:23:08 | Speaker 1:

We got two for Mike in the lead, one for Megan Steele, nothing for Shannon and Spike.

01:23:09 - 01:23:27 | Speaker 4:

Chelsea, you be going to our jingle ball here in a second, okay? You excited? Fantastic. I am too. Is she just talking to me or is she talking? No. Chelsea, are you there? Chelsea? I'm sorry. Hey, there you are. What are you doing? Are you ordering food at McDonald's?

01:23:28 - 01:23:30 | Speaker 6:

We're at Big D getting coffee. I knew it.

01:23:30 - 01:23:37 | Speaker 4:

I knew you were going through a drive-thru and you muted us. I do that all the time to people. They'll be like, are you there still? Are you there still? And then, sorry, hold on a second here.

01:23:38 - 01:23:45 | Speaker 5:

I'm ordering. How sweet is our boss? She just texted us from the drive-thru at Starbucks. She's like, you guys want food? I'm bringing it in. I would like it. Yes, I'd like a $50 gift card.

01:23:47 - 01:23:48 | Speaker 4:

Thank you, Colleen. She's so sweet.

01:23:48 - 01:23:51 | Speaker 2:

She's actually going to do that. Thank you. Don't even say that.

01:23:51 - 01:23:51 | Speaker 4:

You're so sweet, Colleen.

01:23:51 - 01:23:58 | Speaker 2:

I had a caller put me on hold because they were at a drive-thru. Really? Yeah, I was like, I got to let you go. It's like, you called us. We got to get to other callers.

01:23:59 - 01:24:04 | Speaker 4:

Next song in the Mojo in the Morning, Throwback, Throwdown, is...

01:24:06 - 01:24:07 | Speaker 2:

Megan.

01:24:08 - 01:24:08 | Speaker 6:

Megan.

01:24:09 - 01:24:17 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Wiz, Snoop on it, and then, oh, Young Jumma Broke. Yeah.

01:24:20 - 01:24:20 | Speaker 3:

Shannon.

01:24:21 - 01:24:21 | Speaker 4:

Shannon.

01:24:21 - 01:24:27 | Speaker 3:

Yum, dumb, yum, you know, young, dumb, and broke, Wiz Khalifa.

01:24:31 - 01:24:33 | Speaker 5:

Look at some obscure artist.

01:24:33 - 01:24:42 | Speaker 3:

I know. So you're still thinking of me, just like I know you should. I can't. Spike.

01:24:43 - 01:24:50 | Speaker 5:

Spike. Wiz Khalifa and Khalid, young, dumb, and broke. Give you everything you know I wish I could.

01:24:50 - 01:24:51 | Speaker 4:

Mike, you can win it on this one.

01:24:52 - 01:25:30 | Speaker 3:

Is that crazy? Yeah, we're just young, dumb, and broke, but we still got love to give while we're young, dumb, young, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, dumb, and broke, young, young, dumb, and broke, young, young, dumb, and broke, young, young, dumb, and broke, young, young

01:25:30 - 01:25:56 | Speaker 4:

Mike was the winner this week. And Chelsea, you just won the throwback throwdown. Congratulations to you. Enjoy. You're going to be seeing him do this song live on stage at our Jingle Ball on December the 6th. Congrats. We love you so much, too. Have a great weekend.

01:25:56 - 01:25:58 | Speaker 1:

Wait, I want to know her order. What did she get?

01:25:58 - 01:26:03 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, what did you get, by the way? Bigby. Did you get the turkey of Vardy sandwich?

01:26:03 - 01:26:11 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that sounds so good. I got a hot sugar-free mocha caramel, and then I got a winter Wonderland cold brew. There you go.

01:26:12 - 01:26:34 | Speaker 4:

Enjoy. Have a great time. Make sure you say hi at the show, too. Yeah, please tell us that you wanted on Throwback Throwdown, okay? I definitely will. Mojo on the morning show. We got peoples from the show out and about this weekend, and it will be good. Spike's got an appearance today uh no tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow mike's got an appearance today right yeah mike

01:27:00 - 01:27:15 | Speaker 3:

Then that night, I'm actually going on a date night with my wife, but it's also like an event I'm hosting. At the trampoline place? Yeah, that's how you're going to do it. I mean, you're going to have a date night. No, it's at Kirby House in Grand Haven. So right where we broadcasted for our- Yeah.

01:27:15 - 01:27:16 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's so great.

01:27:16 - 01:27:31 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah. So they have like a dance club called The Dark Room that they're reopening, they're bringing back, and we're hosting a VIP event, which is sold out there, but in the Kirby house I'll be hanging out too so I'll be running around and you can say hi from 9 to 11 and Spike you are out tomorrow

01:27:31 - 01:28:12 | Speaker 2:

I'll be out in the morning before Michigan kickoff I'm going to go out in the morning stopping by MJR Digital Cinemas with a great charity drive they do called the Canned Film Festival not the Con Film Festival this is the Canned Film Festival to benefit Gleaners Food Bank check this out everybody especially if you're around Sterling Heights where I'm going to be you donate five canned goods and they'll give you a free movie ticket to one of the holiday movie classics mjr showing all my favorite christmas movies like alpha christmas story polar express nothing beats seeing them on the big screen except seeing them on the big screen for free and so again you bring five canned goods you get the ticket you could do this at any of the mjr locations tomorrow but i will be at sterling heights location tomorrow from 10 till noon

01:28:12 - 01:28:23 | Speaker 4:

that's a van dyken 15 mile and by the way i don't know if you guys know this but spike does not do the clap when he goes to MJR. You have to do the clap.

01:28:23 - 01:28:29 | Speaker 1:

What's the clap? What do you mean? It's more fun at MJR? It's a tradition. You have to do it.

01:28:29 - 01:28:49 | Speaker 4:

Their theme song in the beginning of the movies and they do this. It scared the crap out of me when I went to the MJR theaters for the first time ever years and years ago. I thought somebody had invaded the movie theater when all of a sudden in the middle of the theater. Hold on, let me see if I get, I think I might have it on YouTube here.

01:28:50 - 01:28:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. My God.

01:28:51 - 01:28:55 | Speaker 4:

So, this is like so... My girlfriend grew up... It was more fun at MJR.

01:28:55 - 01:29:03 | Speaker 2:

My girlfriend grew up in MJR theaters. Like, every weekend, she would go with her dad to see movies. Same. I didn't have one around me.

01:29:03 - 01:29:05 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I always went to the Southgate one. Right?

01:29:06 - 01:29:10 | Speaker 2:

Here it is. There it is. Yeah. The three claps.

01:29:10 - 01:29:11 | Speaker 1:

And everybody does it.

01:29:12 - 01:29:22 | Speaker 2:

Except for Spike. Except for me. Spike refused. I found the one thing that gets under my girlfriend's skin. She gets so mad I won't participate. Why are you not clapping? She's like, you have to clap. I said, I don't have to clap.

01:29:30 - 01:29:45 | Speaker 4:

I'll be honest with you. It's a little shocking when you don't know what is going to happen. If you're somebody that doesn't have it, if you don't know if it's your first time ever there, you're not prepared for it. I'm not prepared for all of a sudden somebody clapping next to me and the whole crowd. It's like, get you going. Yeah.

01:29:45 - 01:29:56 | Speaker 1:

You got to clap. You feel it inside your soul. I actually had a TikTok serve to me with that. Somebody was in the crowd, and I literally sent it to Shannon. And I was like, what does this mean? Why is this a thing?

01:29:57 - 01:30:03 | Speaker 2:

Right? You're in Toledo. You don't know. You don't know. We'll do some good and help out Gleaners and, again, see Spike.

01:30:03 - 01:30:06 | Speaker 3:

10 to noon, Sterling Heights location tomorrow. So cool.

01:30:06 - 01:30:11 | Speaker 2:

All right, Mojo in the Morning. We're going to be right back with more coming up here in moments, including more tickets to Jingle Ball.

01:30:11 - 01:30:16 | Speaker 4:

Don't miss this in Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30 in minutes.

01:30:16 - 01:30:29 | Speaker 1:

The great Taylor Swift debacle. Why is it so hard to get tickets to this show? I'm going to break it down for you very mathematically. Also, Tim Allen giving us an update on his buddy Jay Leno. We'll talk about that and all sorts of stuff.

01:30:30 - 01:30:56 | Speaker 4:

Who is seen with who? Who's banging who? And what will you be talking about all day? Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30 in minutes. On Mojo in the Morning. Yep, 2022 can suck it in a lot of ways. But we're here to make Christmas as good as ever. Mojo in the Morning's breaking and entering Christmas wish makes the holiday incredible for families all over that may not have had the best year. Know somebody who's had it rough? Tell about them at mojoswish.org.

01:30:56 - 01:31:41 | Speaker 2:

A big thank you to our friends from the Imagine Theaters Clean View Auto Wash, and Red Robin for their amazing donations to Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish. All right, guys. Jingle Ball. Thank you to Capital One, our presenting sponsor of Jingle Ball. And the Channel 955 Detroit Jingle Ball is open for everyone. Anybody that wants to go, they have a chance to get tickets. Ticketmaster.com for as low as $35 apiece. I mean, to see the Backstreet Boys alone, that's unbelievable. But then you got all the other artists down there, like the Kid Leroy and Khalid and Tate McRae and everybody else. So 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, 95th Caller. Good luck.

01:31:42 - 01:31:44 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:31:45 - 01:31:49 | Speaker 2:

Get you caught up on what's going on, trending in the Dirty on the 30.

01:31:50 - 01:33:44 | Speaker 1:

The Taylor Swift ticket debacle. Just one big cluster F, right? The whole thing really shed light on a lot of things that need to be addressed by Ticketmaster and Live Nation. Ticketmaster blaming historically unprecedented demand for the crash that happened this week as millions of Swifties logged on, hoping desperately to get tickets to Taylor's Era's tour. Ticketmaster also announcing in a tweet, by the way, that today's on sale has been canceled, if you somehow missed that. Now, there are a lot of problems with the way that Taylor's tickets are being sold. Almost all of them structural and almost all of them stacking the deck against the fans. Vice's Jason Kobler has spent more than a decade reporting on Ticketmaster and Ticketbrokers and the ticket resale market. And he said the biggest reason why Taylor tickets are hard to get is because Taylor Swift is arguably the most popular artist in the world right now, has incredibly loyal fans and hasn't toured in several years. They are simply, there are simply, I should say, more people who want to see Taylor Swift than there are tickets that exist. It's plain and simple. It's a very easy math. Also, not all of the tickets are on sale at any given time. So let's say you wanted to buy Taylor tickets at Ford Field, okay? When do tickets go on sale or did go on sale? Well, it depended on who you were. Were you a Capital One cardholder, a verified fan, a VIP, a verified Capital One VIP cardholder? Like there were so many different levels, right? So during each one of those pre-sales, only a certain percentage of tickets goes on sale. the number of allotted tickets for any given pre-sale, is a very closely guarded industry secret. But back in 2009, documents leaked that showed for Taylor's show at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, 11,700 of the 1,300 tickets were sold during pre-sales. So think about that. That means that during the public sale, the one that was supposed to happen today, right, only 15% of tickets were actually available. And that was when they made the allotments.

01:33:44 - 01:33:53 | Speaker 3:

A certain amount goes also aside to, like, resell later. And then there's the scalpers. Yeah, the technology. The scalpers have developed bots that can hack.

01:33:53 - 01:34:28 | Speaker 1:

And let me explain this. They're just better at buying tickets than the general public because they do it as a job. And they have all sorts of advantages, strategical, technological, manpower advantages over the average fan. Even just wrap your brain around this. For those of you that found yourself in those waiting rooms, in those queues, right, where there were like 3,000 people in front of you, brokers have software. That allows them to grab not one or two spots in line, but hundreds of thousands of spots in line. So, like, if you've got tickets, buy a lottery ticket at this point.

01:34:28 - 01:34:28 | Speaker 2:

There's no perfect way.

01:34:29 - 01:34:32 | Speaker 3:

You know what I mean? Powerball, don't you?

01:34:32 - 01:34:33 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:34:33 - 01:34:36 | Speaker 3:

Amazing. Or listen to Mojo in the Morning. We have every morning. That's right.

01:34:36 - 01:34:50 | Speaker 1:

I'll link this article, by the way. It was actually really interesting. Actor Chris Hemsworth said in an interview with Good Morning America this week that genetic testing proved that he is at a very high risk for developing Alzheimer's disease.

01:34:51 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 4:

We've got every blood test one can get, and you have two copies of APOE4, a set from your mom and a set from your dad.

01:35:00 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 1:

And what does that mean exactly?

01:35:01 - 01:35:16 | Speaker 4:

That means you have an increased risk of Alzheimer's disease. How much higher? Probably somewhere between eight and ten times higher than that of someone in the general population. Would you guys want to know? I don't know if I'd want to know if that was a...

01:35:16 - 01:35:19 | Speaker 2:

Yes. The reason why, you can do some dietary things that help.

01:35:19 - 01:35:29 | Speaker 7:

This is why he was talking about it. So the testing happened for his Disney Plus show. It's called Limitless. And he said he is going to use this new information about his health to make some big changes in his life.

01:35:29 - 01:35:40 | Speaker 1:

The idea that I won't be able to remember the life I've experienced or my wife, my kids, this is probably our biggest fear.

01:35:40 - 01:35:46 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, he said actually, you know, as depressing as it might be, it was a big motivation to make some changes.

01:35:46 - 01:36:43 | Speaker 2:

So my brother-in-law sadly was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's at 52 years old. So sad. He's, you know, amazing guy, unbelievable businessman. man. And now, you know, he is just living life as happy as he can. Okay. He, his family knew it was in the family, but nobody really told my sister-in-law and nobody in the family really would talk about it because they felt like it was something that was not something you talk about. They were too proud to talk about. And my sister is like, I would have now knowing this, I'm going to change a lot of my kids diets, but also just do things and just, you know, see doctors and be, be more like it's kind of like with me with having heart issues like everybody in my family now because i had that heart aneurysm has to be checked for that aneurysm and they found out that because of my aneurysm that two of my siblings out of my six siblings also have that too yeah so thank god that that happened so thank god it happened to me and thank god that my family is getting checked

01:36:43 - 01:36:52 | Speaker 6:

out so i've been hearing how rampant it is in my family it's one of those weird things like do you want to get tested by or is it just going to freak you out like it's a tough it's a tough

01:36:52 - 01:37:03 | Speaker 7:

decision or you know that info is my motto though really uh tim allen paying a visit to his friend jay leno at the grossman burn center yesterday giving the paparazzi a little update jay is good

01:37:03 - 01:37:11 | Speaker 5:

feeling better and took us from car magazines we did some jokes which is what we do we commiserated

01:37:11 - 01:37:18 | Speaker 7:

we just connected his friends and so one thing of course they asked him well how does how does look after suffering these deep second and third degree burns.

01:37:19 - 01:37:31 | Speaker 5:

It didn't look all that good to begin with, so this is a note. Face looks great. He's going with the George Clooney look. You're going to be surprised. He's handsome and he's happy and the hospital is doing a great job taking care of him.

01:37:32 - 01:38:07 | Speaker 7:

And with airline travel on the rise for the holidays, Thanksgiving being next week, the issue of manspreading is taking over social media. Of what? Do you guys know what manspreading is? Yeah. Oh yeah. Stop man spreading But on a plane a bunch of the last few weeks In every single experience there was some man next to me man spreading It's guys who sit next to you That think it's okay to sit with their legs Spread really wide A girl named Emily Brinkman Took photos and videos Of a dude that was sitting next to her On her four hour flight from Austin To Orlando And she like went viral everywhere

01:38:07 - 01:38:18 | Speaker 9:

I had told him a couple times to just kind of give me some space I think maybe just his mindset that he would kind of forget to keep pushing into his legs a little bit, and then they would kind of spread out a little bit more over time. It is this thing.

01:38:19 - 01:38:28 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and in big cities like New York where there's public transportation, there's been, like, years of people complaining on subways that a guy will literally take up three seats because he's sitting with his legs spread open.

01:38:28 - 01:38:32 | Speaker 7:

Yes, travel expert Melanie Lieberman has some tips.

01:38:32 - 01:38:52 | Speaker 8:

The first thing you should do is absolutely communicate with the passenger next to you. Try to make sure that they understand that they're encroaching on your space. you paid for that seat. That is your seat. And if that is not successful, if the passenger isn't listening, you should absolutely feel like you can't involve a flight attendant. Ask if there's another seat available.

01:38:52 - 01:38:57 | Speaker 7:

Man spreading. I just like the name of it. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on mojointhemorning.com.

01:39:00 - 01:39:04 | Speaker 3:

Celebrity turned directly from the source. It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:39:08 - 01:39:17 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning, Leon. winner. Congratulations. We've given away so many of these Jingle Ball tickets, and you're going now. Congrats.

01:39:18 - 01:39:20 | Speaker 5:

Thank you so much. I've been trying for so long.

01:39:21 - 01:39:24 | Speaker 2:

Who are we trying for? For you? For somebody else? Who are you excited to see?

01:39:24 - 01:39:25 | Speaker 5:

For my wife, of course.

01:39:25 - 01:39:27 | Speaker 2:

All right. What is she excited

01:39:27 - 01:39:29 | Speaker 5:

about? Backstreet Boys,

01:39:29 - 01:39:30 | Speaker 2:

of course. Backstreet.

01:39:31 - 01:39:33 | Speaker 7:

Oh, don't pretend you're not excited, too.

01:39:34 - 01:39:36 | Speaker 2:

Leon, you're going to get some tonight, aren't you?

01:39:37 - 01:39:39 | Speaker 5:

I hope so. That's the plan.

01:39:39 - 01:39:43 | Speaker 2:

Dude, I would seriously, don't tell her now. Tell her later in the evening, okay?

01:39:44 - 01:39:46 | Speaker 5:

I like the way you roll, absolutely.

01:39:46 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 2:

All right, hang on one second. We'll get you set up with that. I've heard this, that tickets to our Jingle Ball get you laid. So get your tickets today. Go get them at Ticketmaster. And thank you to the fine sponsors that probably don't want to be associated with it. No, no.

01:40:00 - 01:40:04 | Speaker 3:

I'm sure that's what they're going to use as their slogan now. Brought to you by family, heating, and cooling.

01:40:04 - 01:40:06 | Speaker 4:

So if you want it that way, you can get laid.

01:40:06 - 01:40:33 | Speaker 3:

And stroking it larger than life. And super cuts. And I'm trying to think of who else. La Fontaine Kia. Hudson Cafe. Hudson Cafe, yes. Tom would be okay with that, right? Sure. Monroe Street Midway. DeckedOutDetroit.com. That's a good one to go to. All those great sponsors. By the way, I've got to give it to our sales department. I mean, I was in Kim's office, her sales manager's office, yesterday, and I saw her whiteboard. They are selling.

01:40:34 - 01:40:34 | Speaker 1:

Yes, they are.

01:40:34 - 01:40:42 | Speaker 3:

They're doing great. And listen, you say to yourself, okay, Mojo, why do we need you to worry about selling? Well, it keeps us having a job. Yeah.

01:40:42 - 01:40:51 | Speaker 4:

Well, radio listings at an all-time high, but it doesn't do anything for us if they can't pay to keep the lights on. So, obviously, the advertisers are what keeps radio free and keeps us employed.

01:40:52 - 01:41:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, they're advertising. I said to Colleen, I go, do we need anything? And she goes, she's got a couple more, you know, things that we're going to add to the jingle ball and little sponsorship things. And I said to her, I go, can I go out and sell them? She goes, absolutely. You want to sell? You can sell. So if anybody would like to buy any advertising, I'm going to use this blowtorch.

01:41:09 - 01:41:30 | Speaker 4:

I was just reading an article two weeks ago about how they realized now there's a wave of all the advertisers realizing the online social media stuff doesn't work. Like everybody paying Google and Facebook and it just goes out in the universe. and there was no rhyme or reason to people just thinking they needed to spend money advertising on those things without asking, is it actually bringing customers in like radio does?

01:41:30 - 01:42:13 | Speaker 3:

And I also saw that Ford and General Motors pulled Twitter ads because they got upset because Tesla's Elon Musk has been so anti-domestic vehicles. So where are you putting your money, guys? Hmm? Hmm? bill ford where are you at my friend vasectomy on stage i'm telling you we still got to do that that would be a great sponsorship all right mojo in the morning show uh phone number 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 so mike's got a very tough decision to make and this is a a big one because it deals with Santa Claus and his children.

01:42:14 - 01:42:55 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so I know this isn't Santa's choice. I think this is just the way that the mall sets up the calls with Santa. So we scheduled our Santa visit on next weekend. And when you do that, when you go through the company that schedules the Santa visit, they offer you a free phone call with Santa, which is awesome, which is great. But when you go to schedule it, they only give you the option for one child. So you schedule it with Santa, and then so he knows who's calling. You schedule it with one child. So now I have to make the choice of which child do I schedule this call for.

01:42:55 - 01:42:56 | Speaker 1:

One child or one call?

01:42:57 - 01:43:02 | Speaker 2:

It's one call, but you have to give them their name. So he's calling for one specific child.

01:43:02 - 01:43:03 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I was going to say, speaker, phone?

01:43:04 - 01:43:04 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:43:05 - 01:43:06 | Speaker 1:

Get them both at the kitchen table?

01:43:06 - 01:43:10 | Speaker 3:

Why would they do that? That seems so harsh that they would only let one do it.

01:43:10 - 01:43:26 | Speaker 2:

I have no idea, but now I have to choose. Do I choose the child who is, I'm just going to say it, my rock star child, my child who is coming into her own and is just a wonderful and amazing human being, or the child who is an absolute monster right now.

01:43:26 - 01:43:34 | Speaker 4:

Who needs a little threat. Yeah, well, yes, exactly, who needs a little threat. Oh, man, you got the two polar opposites. Which one will be more useful?

01:43:34 - 01:43:54 | Speaker 1:

I have a very strong opinion on this. and if you have little ones in the car we are about to talk about Christmas magic I'm giving you a warning I say it has to be Seth because time is limited so let her squeeze any magic you possibly can because we are dealing with this right now with Lucy

01:43:54 - 01:44:13 | Speaker 4:

well and you can use that as the trickle down effect Seth gets the call she's super excited he sees that she'll be talking about that for weeks And then you can use that as a life lesson of, well, maybe if you really, you know, think about it, work hard to be good, you could get that call.

01:44:13 - 01:44:24 | Speaker 2:

You don't think he's going to go, I mean, he's only three, so. Do it without him around. Really? Yeah. If he sees it, though, don't you think he's going to get a little jealous? That's what I mean.

01:44:25 - 01:44:27 | Speaker 1:

Just make it a moment with just Seth.

01:44:27 - 01:44:36 | Speaker 4:

No, no. I think you let him get jealous and you say, well, I wonder why Santa called Seth. Why did Santa? That's right, because she's on the good list, and he's really happy right now.

01:44:36 - 01:44:39 | Speaker 1:

Oh, well, then he's going to have anxiety that he's not on the good list.

01:44:40 - 01:44:45 | Speaker 4:

Well, isn't that what you used the whole Santa threat for for six months as a parent? Gentleman line.

01:44:45 - 01:44:56 | Speaker 3:

I think what you do is you say that they are conjoined twins. And that they have to talk to both of them at the same time. I would like you to talk to my conjoined twins.

01:44:56 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 4:

You can use this to get him behaving.

01:45:00 - 01:45:06 | Speaker 7:

Then you can always go on Cameo and hire a Santa helper, or you can get Uncle Spike to call his Santa. Oh, yeah.

01:45:06 - 01:45:08 | Speaker 5:

No, because you're the mean Santa Claus.

01:45:08 - 01:45:13 | Speaker 1:

I do have a great Santa. He's the Santa at Somerset. Family friend of the Murphy family.

01:45:13 - 01:45:23 | Speaker 5:

Should you always have Santa talk to the bad one or the good one? I think the bad one, because the bad one needs a little motivation to not be such a pain in the ass.

01:45:23 - 01:45:24 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, but what's the good one going to keep being good

01:45:24 - 01:45:26 | Speaker 5:

if they don't get a reward for it?

01:45:26 - 01:45:32 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, Santa's got to be positive, not negative. He's not going to call and yell at the bad kids. He's going to call and say hi to the good kids.

01:45:32 - 01:45:35 | Speaker 5:

It's less issues, less parenting that you have to do if you talk to –

01:45:35 - 01:45:48 | Speaker 1:

Why don't you create, like, a celebrity name, combine their names, and just pretend they're one person? You know what I mean? Milo Lee. Sessa Milo.

01:45:48 - 01:46:03 | Speaker 6:

And just have him say it really fast. Why don't you have him say kids? You could, but I think the point of it is so – When Santa knows the kids' names, it becomes way better. It's customized. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

01:46:05 - 01:46:07 | Speaker 5:

All right. Mojo in the morning show. Joel.

01:46:08 - 01:46:10 | Speaker 7:

Hello, it's Santa calling for children in the house.

01:46:11 - 01:46:13 | Speaker 5:

Joel, what should we do?

01:46:15 - 01:46:37 | Speaker 2:

So Mike's got to let Cecily get the schedule call. And then he's got to Google just like Santa phone calls. And they do automated ones where you can type in Milo's name. And it won't be as, you know, oh, hey, Milo, how are you doing? But it'll be still like, you know, he gets the Santa voice, he gets the call, he gets the threat.

01:46:37 - 01:46:50 | Speaker 1:

There's an app called Portable North Pole that somebody recommended to me a couple of weeks ago when we were talking about the debacle that I'm in. And you can do regular phone calls and you can also do video calls with Santa.

01:46:50 - 01:46:52 | Speaker 7:

Wow. Well, for a three-year-old, that passes easily.

01:46:53 - 01:46:57 | Speaker 1:

I think it's pretty amazing. In my mind, those side... How they do it. In my mind...

01:46:57 - 01:47:13 | Speaker 6:

And I haven't checked this website out yet, but in my mind, these side Santas always are going to start... They start with an ad. Oh, yeah, it's going to start with an ad, and then it's going to go to, like, different things, and all of a sudden, like, Milo's going to get the shysty Santa and the creative villain. Three.

01:47:13 - 01:47:16 | Speaker 1:

He's not going to know shysty Santa versus, like, the magical Santa.

01:47:16 - 01:47:18 | Speaker 5:

You get the bad mall Santa. Maybe that's what he needs.

01:47:18 - 01:47:20 | Speaker 2:

He needs the shysty Santa.

01:47:21 - 01:47:28 | Speaker 7:

Well, in fact, he doesn't even need that. Is there an app for Scared Straight or True Life where they talk to prisoners who didn't get their life straight?

01:47:28 - 01:47:33 | Speaker 5:

Joel, let's hear your Santa Claus. Let's see if you'd be good to have you talk to the kids.

01:47:35 - 01:47:40 | Speaker 2:

Ho, ho, ho. Hello, Milo. Have you been good this year?

01:47:40 - 01:47:41 | Speaker 1:

Not bad. Not terrible.

01:47:42 - 01:47:47 | Speaker 2:

No, it's icky you some work. I got to visit the North Pole a little bit.

01:47:47 - 01:47:50 | Speaker 5:

I like it. He stays in character. What's up, Shannon?

01:47:51 - 01:47:52 | Speaker 3:

Hey, good morning, guys.

01:47:52 - 01:47:53 | Speaker 5:

Good morning.

01:47:54 - 01:48:15 | Speaker 3:

So as a second child, I don't think that you should let either of them talk to Santa. When I was little, I thought we'd be in the backseat of the car going downtown to go see the Easter Bunny. And my parents just left me in the back of the car, took my brother inside to go see the Easter Bunny, like pictures, I think. And I never forgave them.

01:48:15 - 01:48:23 | Speaker 5:

uh so you're afraid that this is gonna uh turn or is gonna hurt a kid scar a kid forever

01:48:23 - 01:48:34 | Speaker 3:

yeah i did not that scar him forever but like i just never i never forgot it you know and i was like jealous that my brother got to go see the easter bunny and i did it and you didn't get it

01:48:34 - 01:48:39 | Speaker 5:

see that mike you got an adult that lived this you do not want to do this to your kids none of

01:48:39 - 01:48:45 | Speaker 6:

them get to see santa claus nobody gets to be happy this year yeah what's happening erica

01:48:45 - 01:48:51 | Speaker 7:

participation award santa's for the elite children hi what's up erica what do you see

01:48:51 - 01:49:29 | Speaker 4:

i think to get that schedule call it worked for i have a three-year-old he's the terrorizer of the house then i have a five-year-old and he's just an angel he had the schedule call i had him set up the schedule call, and my three-year-old was like, well, I want Santa to call me. And I'm like, well, you have to whip up. You have to hit his date. And it has worked like a charm. So now I'm going to have him speak to Santa from an app, and it's been going great. So I think Santa promotes goodness, so let's definitely get that schedule call.

01:49:29 - 01:49:40 | Speaker 5:

Okay, perfect. What about doing a UFC fight between the two kids and whoever wins it? I like it. Who would win? Who would win in the fight? Because Milo's a little spunky guy.

01:49:40 - 01:49:54 | Speaker 6:

I think Milo would because Cecily's so nice. Like, we have to tell her, hey, don't let him do that. Like, he's, yeah, she's so nice. Like, she deserves the call, but Milo needs the call. Alicia?

01:49:56 - 01:49:56 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

01:49:56 - 01:49:57 | Speaker 6:

What's up?

01:49:59 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 3:

Sorry.

01:50:00 - 01:50:01 | Speaker 5:

It's that first part you said.

01:50:01 - 01:50:03 | Speaker 2:

I just said, Alicia, what's up?

01:50:03 - 01:50:03 | Speaker 5:

Oh, okay.

01:50:03 - 01:50:07 | Speaker 2:

That's all I said. I got no more energy for anything else today. It's Friday. What's going on?

01:50:09 - 01:50:40 | Speaker 5:

So instead of the phone call, so last year my daughter, she is turning 11 this year, so she's quite the older age. But I scared her straight last year. I had my boyfriend's sister. She wrote out this Santa letter. She was on the naughty list. She wasn't doing so hot last year. So I had her write out this letter Coming from Santa Claus She wrote out this whole thing Looked like it came from the North Pole Sure enough it said you better get your stuff together Or you're going to be on the naughty list So I think it scared her straight

01:50:40 - 01:50:41 | Speaker 2:

And it worked

01:50:41 - 01:50:46 | Speaker 5:

I think she definitely opened that And was like eye opener for her

01:50:46 - 01:50:56 | Speaker 1:

Hey all the parents use that thread all the time You're not going to get any gifts You're not going to be on the list But everybody's judging me in the text messages Saying that you know Just because I want the good kid to get the good call

01:50:56 - 01:51:19 | Speaker 2:

I used to have my parents use that in like, I don't know, June, July. They're already pulling it out. All right, Mojo on the Morning Show. Do we have our first winner, our first Young Gravy winner? Do you guys see the overwhelming amount of moms that people were tagging for our Young Gravy concert?

01:51:20 - 01:51:21 | Speaker 5:

And they're all gorgeous. I loved it.

01:51:21 - 01:51:23 | Speaker 2:

My God, these women were unbelievable.

01:51:23 - 01:51:24 | Speaker 5:

01:51:56 - 01:51:57 | Speaker 1:

Good. How are you?

01:51:57 - 01:52:09 | Speaker 2:

Good. You nominated your mom for this one. Are we going to get her on the phone, too? Oh, yeah, we are? Oh, that's cool. What's your mom's name? Her name's Marissa. Marissa. Let's get her. How old's mom? I believe 43.

01:52:09 - 01:52:24 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Young mom. Young mom. Because we know Young Gravy. I mean, he blew up on SoundCloud and TikTok this year. But we've been watching him to all the award shows taking moms. But they're all older than the 40s. I mean, lately, he's been talking about Martha Stewart and his little friendship going on.

01:52:24 - 01:52:27 | Speaker 2:

Question for you, Vaughn. Is your mom single?

01:52:28 - 01:52:30 | Speaker 4:

She is not. She has a boyfriend.

01:52:30 - 01:52:35 | Speaker 2:

Oh, she does. Okay. I wonder how the boyfriend feels about this. Let's ask her. Marissa, what's up, Mom? Marissa, how are you?

01:52:36 - 01:52:38 | Speaker 3:

I am good. How are you?

01:52:38 - 01:52:56 | Speaker 2:

Look at you. I got the pictures here, you guys. We're going to post these up to our Instagram, and you can go check those out, and also our Facebook and everything. You're a hot mom. Hey, Vaughn, plug your ears for a second while I flirt with your mom a little bit there. Look at you. How many kids do you have?

01:52:57 - 01:52:58 | Speaker 3:

I have four.

01:52:58 - 01:53:01 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. And you look hot.

01:53:02 - 01:53:06 | Speaker 3:

Thank you. I don't know that I feel hot anymore, but thank you. Oh, no.

01:53:06 - 01:53:28 | Speaker 2:

No, you're hot. Hey, Vaughn, does your mom get, like, looks like when you're with your mom? Like, do guys check her out? I know that whenever we're in Traverse City, sometimes she gets catcalled on the beach. Does she really? Not surprised. Does she wear like a two-piece? Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Do you like that, or does that make you feel weird that your mom's getting catcalled?

01:53:28 - 01:53:30 | Speaker 1:

I'm all good with it.

01:53:30 - 01:53:31 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's cool.

01:53:31 - 01:53:34 | Speaker 1:

And then all of me and my brother's college friends, they all think she's a milk.

01:53:34 - 01:53:43 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. So who are you taking with you to go see Young Gravy on Mondays? Are you going to take Vaughn, or are you just giving the tickets to Vaughn? You got to go.

01:53:46 - 01:53:48 | Speaker 3:

So can I take him?

01:53:48 - 01:53:58 | Speaker 2:

I mean, you can take whoever you want to. I think you should go have a good night if you want to. But definitely don't take that boyfriend of yours. You might have some fun stuff happening with Young Gravy.

01:54:00 - 01:54:13 | Speaker 3:

Well, this has been, like, this is my twin's dream. So Vaughn has an identical twin, and this has been their dream. In fact, his twin texted me this morning and said, Mom, you realize that this is my dream.

01:54:13 - 01:54:16 | Speaker 2:

What do you mean? Wait, what's his dream? His dream?

01:54:16 - 01:54:18 | Speaker 3:

To meet Young Gravy.

01:54:18 - 01:54:20 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. So there you go. I love this.

01:54:20 - 01:54:22 | Speaker 1:

One twin nominated you, the other twin. That's great.

01:54:23 - 01:54:26 | Speaker 2:

So here's the thing. And what is Vaughn's twin? What's your twin's name?

01:54:27 - 01:54:27 | Unknown:

Colton.

01:54:27 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 2:

Colton. Oh, cool name. All right, so here's the deal. Vaughn and Colton. So, Mom, we got VIP for you, early entrance, going to get a picture with Young Gravy, also all kinds of other stuff, merch and things like that. It's at the Fillmore on Monday. 01:55:00 - 01:55:30 | Speaker 4:

to you guys see you later mom thank you so much all right mojo in the morning show a lot of stuff to get to today a lot of stuff to talk about home of the phone scams the war of the roses and the dirty on the 30 mojo spike shannon megan mike our producers kp reese our director of social impact lydia associate producer and then our executive audio producer is katie megan i haven't heard from you in a little bit here. I need to just make sure that you haven't left for the day. Are you there?

01:55:31 - 01:55:33 | Speaker 2:

No, I... I know. I'm just

01:55:33 - 01:55:35 | Speaker 4:

kidding you. I got your topic up next here.

01:55:35 - 01:55:37 | Speaker 2:

What do you want me to talk about with kids and Dana? I don't know.

01:55:40 - 01:55:42 | Speaker 4:

You were a kid at one time, weren't you?

01:55:42 - 01:55:47 | Speaker 2:

Weren't you a kid at one time? Never. Actually, I was born a 22-year-old

01:55:47 - 01:55:52 | Speaker 4:

woman. Are you? Could you imagine that to the surprise of your dad? What the hell happened here?

01:55:53 - 01:55:57 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I'm one of those weird people who doesn't remember the majority of my childhood, so did he even

01:55:57 - 01:56:08 | Speaker 4:

exist yeah i know sometimes you don't want to remember the majority of your childhood thank god right yeah that's it um all right so megan i burned myself and what did your brother do

01:56:08 - 01:56:21 | Speaker 2:

okay we need to talk because i'm gonna kick my brother out of the house uh i i burned myself in the most idiotic way you ever use a crock pot before yeah yes those get really

01:56:21 - 01:56:29 | Speaker 4:

hot right yeah the most non honestly isn't a crock pot just a safe thing just put on a counter

01:56:29 - 01:56:33 | Speaker 2:

and you're supposed to be okay yeah i don't know if you watch this is us uh that's how the dad died

01:56:33 - 01:56:41 | Speaker 4:

spoiler alert wasn't that a pressure cooker no it was a crock pot yeah they didn't have pressure

01:56:41 - 01:56:45 | Speaker 3:

cookers probably did they win yeah because that was the year the boston marathon bomber used the

01:56:45 - 01:56:58 | Speaker 2:

pressure cooker oh okay yeah but the show was like in the past and the present so oh right right right Yeah. So, weird fact that you thought that was the same year that the Boston Marathon.

01:56:58 - 01:57:04 | Speaker 3:

When this exhaust is on, I left the room and left the house. It was the most depressing show I've ever seen in my life.

01:57:04 - 01:58:32 | Speaker 2:

So, you know when you have a crockpot and you go to lift the lid, there's like that little hole where the pressure steam comes out of? Well, I forgot about that. And I went to go lift the lid off. And I burned the crap out of my wristlets. It's the point where I, like, yelled because it so caught me off guard. And I was like, this is a crackpot. Why did you harm me? Crackpot is worse than, like, getting burned with hot water. The steam is the worst. Yeah. And then my brother, who was standing immediately next to me, like, if I could reenact the moment, it was genuine fear and pain scream. So it wasn't like a, ah. It was like a, oh, my God, kind of scream. And my brother immediately just turned to me and started laughing. like laughing in a mocking way not laughing in a oh my god that's crazy but like uh how dumb are you kind of way you know there are two different kinds yeah of laughter and this one came from a place of meanness and immediately i just yelled at him you weren't even going to ask me if i was okay before you started laughing at me and he just responded back with is a crock pot how did you get her and we fought for an hour and i did not let it go because i thought it was so rude am i in the wrong here yeah probably but i was really mad yesterday and also very hungry because at this point i had not eaten the food in the crock pot i had just been harmed by the crock pot this is

01:58:32 - 01:58:51 | Speaker 4:

another reason why megan and her brother sean need a sitcom no they need a sitcom based on them you don't have to play the because it can't be a reality show a reality show sometimes wouldn't work comedy wise it needs to be a full fledged like comedy

01:58:51 - 01:58:53 | Speaker 2:

no you wonder why

01:58:53 - 01:58:57 | Speaker 4:

I just want to see what you guys like yell and argue about in that house together living together

01:58:57 - 01:59:07 | Speaker 2:

America would fall in love with my brother and hate me and I can't have that I'm the attention seeker out of the two of us I need the approval from strangers he couldn't care less

01:59:07 - 01:59:22 | Speaker 4:

could you imagine If these guys had their own like this would be the in the episode would be called it would be episode 117 The crockpot. Yeah, or the crap pot. It would be the crap pot because Megan would be like crap or whatever

01:59:23 - 01:59:32 | Speaker 2:

But I think the rule is if somebody gets hurt you say are you okay first and then you laugh You don't get to laugh and then not ask if you're okay

01:59:32 - 01:59:56 | Speaker 1:

Have you ever been though in a situation where like somebody gets hurt or it's a really sad moment and like something comes over you and you can't stop laughing oh yeah it's the worst it's happened to me at a funeral it's happening wait at a funeral worst you're dead i think i see something and i'm like in the funeral mass i'm like oh my god i can't i i get that like where i can't stop laughing my my wife laughs

01:59:56 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 4:

at people who fall all the time and i think i mentioned that not that long

02:00:00 - 02:00:03 | Speaker 2:

to go on the air because didn't Megan also have her brother that laughed at her when she fell

02:00:03 - 02:00:06 | Speaker 5:

once? Yeah, my brother's kind of mean.

02:00:08 - 02:00:11 | Speaker 2:

But you just kind of, you know what? You know you're going to be okay.

02:00:11 - 02:00:18 | Speaker 5:

No, I don't think so because I've been putting burn ointment on it for the past 20, well...

02:00:18 - 02:00:25 | Speaker 2:

Listen here, Jay Leno. Everything will be okay. Don't do that. He has real injuries. You will be okay. I promise you.

02:00:25 - 02:00:31 | Speaker 5:

But like every hour it starts to burn again and I'm Injured and I need help

02:00:31 - 02:00:32 | Speaker 2:

And I

02:00:32 - 02:00:38 | Speaker 5:

Our healthcare isn't that great I'm telling you

02:00:38 - 02:00:40 | Speaker 2:

This is episode Whatever

02:00:40 - 02:00:44 | Speaker 5:

Guys you're treating me like he does I just wanted some sympathy

02:00:44 - 02:00:48 | Speaker 6:

I stopped listening Always wondering what you were making in the crop pot

02:00:48 - 02:00:54 | Speaker 1:

Next time call me because I will go into full mom mode And I will kiss your boo boo until it is better Thank you

02:00:54 - 02:01:04 | Speaker 2:

Listeners call us up right now And give Megan some sympathy Give her just a little like Oh Megan It's going to be okay

02:01:04 - 02:01:09 | Speaker 5:

It was her soup And the soup you saw You were making your soup

02:01:09 - 02:01:21 | Speaker 6:

Was the soup too hot That's what I was looking for Let's get a little Spongebob bandaid on here I hate you guys

02:01:21 - 02:01:37 | Speaker 5:

You are ice Remember when Shannon fell on the scooter And everybody was like oh my god That looks like it really hurt. Are you okay? And everybody was so concerned and said, I can't believe that happened to you. And then I was like, I got burned. And you're all like, deserved it.

02:01:39 - 02:01:44 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning, can you give a little sympathy to our girl Megan here?

02:01:44 - 02:01:52 | Speaker 5:

You're cracking me up right now. Megan, you're okay. You're going to be okay. Everything is going to be okay. I'm not sure. I'm not sure you're right.

02:01:53 - 02:01:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. She has a rough life. She has a very rough life. The crock pot burned her last night.

02:01:58 - 02:02:02 | Speaker 5:

It's about the size of a quarter, guys. And life-changing.

02:02:03 - 02:02:08 | Speaker 2:

Do you feel that we give Shannon more sympathy than you? That just got brought up. I'm sorry.

02:02:08 - 02:02:20 | Speaker 5:

I had an entirely bloody face. Well, I have a burn the size of a quarter on my wrist, okay? And every time I move my hand. The size of a quarter. Girls. Every time I move my hand, it hurts, okay?

02:02:20 - 02:02:22 | Speaker 6:

It's not a competition. You're both stupid.

02:02:22 - 02:02:27 | Speaker 2:

Brendan, what's going on, Brendan?

02:02:28 - 02:02:46 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no, Megan, you're a hit. Thank you. Baby girl. We'll give you some ice cream. You can have some while you ice it down for a little bit. How about that? Thank you. I appreciate you. I'd rather work with you than these people.

02:02:46 - 02:02:53 | Speaker 6:

The sound she made, I wish she had as a ringtone afterwards. just every time you call Megan's calling you hear that little

02:02:53 - 02:02:59 | Speaker 3:

oh it's another Megan I hate everything moment

02:02:59 - 02:03:01 | Speaker 5:

that's it I'm done I quit

02:03:01 - 02:03:05 | Speaker 3:

Megan are you quitting again today let me guess you're putting in your two week

02:03:05 - 02:03:11 | Speaker 5:

notice I'm over it I'm over everything I'm done the answer is yes

02:03:11 - 02:03:15 | Speaker 4:

alright Mojo

02:03:15 - 02:04:34 | Speaker 2:

the morning show so I heard something kind of cool i actually uh i like this one better than the other one so you know we've always talked about cuffing season you know for years that was like where you just find somebody to hook up with and be your winter boyfriend or or girlfriend and i heard of a new one that i think i like better and I and actually this one tell me if you can guess this it's winter coating so the new cuffing season is winter coating what is that explain it's and this is wild one because I want to know from people that do this I want to know if you guys uh if you guys do this it's when an ex comes back for the holidays or the cold weather months and here are some highlights with this one there's you know this term that has now kind of gotten named i think urban dictionary names all these things when the x comes back into the picture for the colder months but it's gone again when spring arrives kind of like what you do with your winter coat you put your winter coat on yeah for the winter months and then you discard it and get rid of it because spring comes around

02:04:35 - 02:04:37 | Speaker 1:

I like this term so much better.

02:04:38 - 02:04:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, than cuffing.

02:04:39 - 02:04:40 | Speaker 1:

It makes a lot more sense.

02:04:40 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 2:

Because I didn't know what even cuffing meant. I had to look it up as, okay, what's the definition of cuffing season? And I kind of like winter coating better because it's kind of funny. You can tell people if, you know, they're like, oh, so what you up to these days? Oh, you know, I'm winter coating. And then you don't have to tell them anything more than that. Oh, great. Really? Okay. Tell me about your winter coat.

02:05:00 - 02:05:09 | Speaker 1:

me like it kind of works out like that yeah so are there any of our listeners that do this do you ever bring an x back in just to kind of like for the moment especially for the holidays right

02:05:09 - 02:05:15 | Speaker 4:

like you want someone to do all the fun holiday activities with um i want to throw this out there

02:05:15 - 02:06:00 | Speaker 1:

also i read an article a relationship article thing that was on uh reddit and i can't remember the stat but it was like so many in like five people it might have been like two and five people have an x that they could call it a moment's notice that if they said hey do you want to come over and bang they would come over and bang it was like a crazy stat it was like hey do you want so it's basically like your f and x that all you do is you guys f you know or or cuddle or make out or oral i don't know i just wanted to say yeah but um that's crazy yeah

02:06:00 - 02:06:14 | Speaker 2:

isn't that wild although i i i understand like i had a friend that used to do that and it was just like well we you both have in your head i don't have to deal with your craziness everything we hated about each other still exists but we're just getting together for the one thing we actually

02:06:14 - 02:06:26 | Speaker 4:

liked about each other yeah i wish i had this you wish you had the winter coating or the just an axe that you could call that yeah that you could just that you could do oral with

02:06:26 - 02:06:44 | Speaker 5:

she just wanted to say that too apparently well that's what ojo just said um yeah i i think it would be convenient to not have the relationship but have the partner to uh fulfill a need when you need it you don't actually have to spend time with them that seems like my ideal situation

02:06:44 - 02:06:58 | Speaker 1:

I kind of think that that would be great too If you're single It's kind of like A live play toy It's like a live person That will just say hey you know what Let's just do this

02:06:58 - 02:07:05 | Speaker 3:

I noticed that the guys are hotter during the winter time Because it's cuffing season And I feel like they're all getting on hinge

02:07:05 - 02:07:12 | Speaker 1:

Is that what it is? Do you think that You're thinking differently Or the guys are looking differently

02:07:13 - 02:07:16 | Speaker 3:

That's a good point because I am a little more emotionally secure.

02:07:16 - 02:07:17 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

02:07:17 - 02:07:30 | Speaker 4:

Let me tell you something, though. Like Mojo always says, sunglasses add points, beanies on guys. Really? Oh, my God. A guy in a beanie is just, I can't, I need to be here myself.

02:07:30 - 02:07:34 | Speaker 1:

And a vest. Guys who wear, like, like a winter vest, no?

02:07:35 - 02:07:35 | Speaker 5:

The beanie.

02:07:35 - 02:07:38 | Speaker 1:

For me, for me, the guys who wear vests are. Oh, okay.

02:07:38 - 02:07:41 | Speaker 5:

10 out of 10, guy with a beanie and a nose piercing.

02:07:42 - 02:07:45 | Speaker 1:

I can't help you myself.

02:07:45 - 02:07:46 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you squeak.

02:07:46 - 02:07:53 | Speaker 1:

She's getting tingly. She's like Oprah tingly right there, aren't you? Hi, Katie.

02:07:54 - 02:08:02 | Speaker 6:

Hey. So I think that either cold weather Cody or coughing Cody sounds better than winter Cody.

02:08:03 - 02:08:16 | Speaker 1:

Oh, winter. Wait, Cody. I was like, who's Cody? Who is this guy Cody? Where is he from? So you say instead of winter coding, it should be winter Cody.

02:08:17 - 02:08:18 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

02:08:18 - 02:08:27 | Speaker 1:

Okay. All right. I'm Cody. I don't know. That's interesting. Do you have this? Do you have somebody that you have ever brought back in your life just for winter?

02:08:28 - 02:08:32 | Speaker 6:

Oh, no. But I'm married. I've been married for a few years now.

02:08:32 - 02:08:33 | Speaker 1:

How about before that?

02:08:33 - 02:08:47 | Speaker 6:

um let's just say i had a very um healthy relationship uh life or a healthy uh sex life

02:08:47 - 02:08:51 | Speaker 2:

i guess yeah okay all right i can hear the snapping mike mike it's working

02:08:51 - 02:08:59 | Speaker 1:

i got mike snapping over there mike mike i've always been told i'm more attractive in the

02:08:59 - 02:09:09 | Speaker 2:

winter and it's because i'm more covered up you can see less of me you know and the winter coat looks puffy and you just don't realize i'm overweight you know what honestly north faces

02:09:09 - 02:09:15 | Speaker 1:

for some reason do it you know a north face or a canada goose or one of those all of a sudden man

02:09:15 - 02:09:23 | Speaker 2:

put that sucker on and spike you yeah and maybe a ski mask goggles yeah how about remember when

02:09:23 - 02:09:30 | Speaker 1:

you're a kid and you used to have like the full like suit that you'd go out to like throw snowballs with your friends and stuff like that, or go sledding?

02:09:30 - 02:09:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I can't put my arms down. I'm also hotter than you put me on the ski lift, where I go far away. It carries me far, far away, and you can't really see me close.

02:09:38 - 02:09:44 | Speaker 1:

Jennifer? Good morning. How you doing? What's happening? We're talking about winter coating right now.

02:09:45 - 02:09:49 | Speaker 2:

Backwards hats and beards. Really? We're still doing the backwards hat thing?

02:09:50 - 02:09:51 | Speaker 4:

But beards, yeah.

02:09:51 - 02:09:56 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Something about a guy with a fitted hat. Wearing a backwards with a beard. Go to.

02:09:56 - 02:10:08 | Speaker 1:

There's a beard story that I just saw. on a second and it talked about this that um i'm loving some facial hair lately are you does

02:10:08 - 02:10:24 | Speaker 3:

west ever i don't know he has been a lot and it's so funny because every time he lets his facial hair grow i'm like i obsess over him but he kind of hates it because it's so itchy he's not used to it but now i'm like oh you got to keep it i love it yeah isn't it november or no shave november or

02:10:24 - 02:10:31 | Speaker 1:

whatever well and i think that that's where people start realizing it right now that they start seeing that their guy actually puts a beard

02:10:31 - 02:10:34 | Speaker 2:

covers my seven necks chins

02:10:34 - 02:10:36 | Speaker 4:

a well groomed beard though

02:10:36 - 02:10:40 | Speaker 2:

yeah yeah yeah don't let it go wild like Paul Bunyan

02:10:40 - 02:10:43 | Speaker 3:

or just like facial hair like letting your facial hair grow a little bit to me

02:10:43 - 02:10:47 | Speaker 1:

super hot what's going on Kim how you doing

02:10:47 - 02:10:49 | Speaker 4:

good how are you

02:10:49 - 02:10:55 | Speaker 1:

fantastic we're talking about what is it about winter time that makes guys look hotter

02:10:55 - 02:11:06 | Speaker 4:

I am with Shannon beanies and also tattoos beanies with the guy with tattoos and they look badass you're saying

02:11:06 - 02:11:20 | Speaker 1:

yeah yeah do you have we were also talking about exes do you have like an ex that if you could call if you called up they would come over and take care of you um yeah i have a few really a few

02:11:20 - 02:11:30 | Speaker 2:

are there different needs and different fulfillments like certain guys are better at certain things depending on what you're in the mood for like one guy actually will help you move

02:11:30 - 02:11:40 | Speaker 1:

furniture around the house the other guy will help you yeah yeah that's it okay could you imagine by the way that you got that on the list and you call the wrong guy well that's the problem like

02:11:40 - 02:11:45 | Speaker 2:

i want to be the move mountains in the bedroom guy but i'm going to be the guy moving the coffee

02:11:45 - 02:11:51 | Speaker 1:

table from the living room i need you to change a light bulb a highlight bulb for me uh thank you

02:11:51 - 02:12:00 | Speaker 4:

kim uh what's up taylor okay so for me it's the beards and the carhartt vest over like a long

02:12:00 - 02:12:21 | Speaker 1:

sleeve carhartt shirt so the beards and the carharts car i'm by the way girls in carharts are also hot too i'm not kidding you when i say this to you i see a girl wearing a carhartt like A hat Like the knit hat I'm like oh she's cute Wow look at her

02:12:21 - 02:12:26 | Speaker 4:

That's what I'm wearing right now Stop it Stop it

02:12:26 - 02:12:29 | Speaker 1:

Alright you take care of yourself okay

02:12:29 - 02:12:30 | Speaker 4:

You too bye

02:12:30 - 02:12:36 | Speaker 1:

Alright thank you for the call Michelle wants to say something to you Spike What's going on Michelle

02:12:36 - 02:12:48 | Speaker 4:

Hi good morning everybody Good morning I just want to say Spike You're so self-deprecating to yourself, and my God, you are so hot.

02:12:48 - 02:12:50 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Wow. Well, thank you very much.

02:12:51 - 02:12:56 | Speaker 4:

And if Megan, I'm sorry, Megan, if you weren't dating Megan, I would grab you myself.

02:12:56 - 02:13:03 | Speaker 1:

Wait a second. Wait, are you talking, you're talking about his girlfriend, Megan. I thought you were talking about our Megan there. Same. Hold on a second. Wait.

02:13:03 - 02:13:04 | Speaker 4:

His girlfriend, Megan.

02:13:04 - 02:13:07 | Speaker 1:

You would like to be winter coating with Spike? Is that what you're saying?

02:13:07 - 02:13:08 | Speaker 4:

I absolutely would.

02:13:08 - 02:13:18 | Speaker 2:

Well, baby, I'm taken, but you don't need a winter coat with me because I'm growing enough back hair for the winter. Enough to keep us both warm.

02:13:18 - 02:13:21 | Speaker 1:

There he goes, self-deprecating again, Michelle.

02:13:21 - 02:13:26 | Speaker 4:

He needs to, you know, be proud of himself. He's so gorgeous.

02:13:26 - 02:13:33 | Speaker 1:

You know what I've noticed about Spike? I've noticed that Spike, because I follow Spike at Radio Spike. I don't know if you do too, but you should.

02:13:34 - 02:13:34 | Speaker 4:

I sure do.

02:13:35 - 02:13:40 | Speaker 1:

This girlfriend, Megan, cooks for this guy all the freaking time. Oh, my gosh, yeah.

02:13:40 - 02:13:42 | Speaker 3:

Makes me feel like the worst girlfriend in the world.

02:13:42 - 02:13:55 | Speaker 1:

And I'm wondering, and this is just a thought. I don't know Meg as well as I know other people, but I'm wondering if she's trying to fatten you up so girls like Michelle don't flirt with you.

02:13:55 - 02:13:57 | Speaker 2:

It's working. It's definitely not.

02:13:58 - 02:14:02 | Speaker 4:

See, I don't mind a little cut. It's okay. More to love.

02:14:02 - 02:14:06 | Speaker 2:

Obviously, Meg doesn't mind a dad bod, because I got two dad bods going on.

02:14:06 - 02:14:13 | Speaker 1:

I mean, she makes everything from, like, Italian food to what other else on there. I see you.

02:14:13 - 02:14:14 | Speaker 2:

She makes anything and everything.

02:14:15 - 02:14:17 | Speaker 3:

Risotto the other day. Risotto. Squash risotto.

02:14:18 - 02:14:23 | Speaker 2:

You are like. She will spend hours in the kitchen. Like, it's her hobby. She loves to do it. It's just fun for her.

02:14:23 - 02:14:30 | Speaker 1:

Did you ever get the feeling that it's really not her hobby? It's just her way to fatten you up a little bit to keep the ladies away?

02:14:30 - 02:14:36 | Speaker 2:

Well, I notice she doesn't seem to mind that I've put on a few pounds for sure, but.

02:14:38 - 02:14:41 | Speaker 4:

Make a note what's up. Make a note what's up.

02:14:41 - 02:14:42 | Speaker 2:

Can you cook, Michelle?

02:14:42 - 02:14:43 | Speaker 4:

I sure can.

02:14:44 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 2:

Oh, wow. I've been dropping hints to her over the past two weeks, like randomly texting Meg saying, you know what I haven't had in a while? Tiramisu. And then, like, apparently she pointed out to me last night that apparently with Thanksgiving coming up, I must have told her at least five different desserts I want her to make. Like, I'll just be slipping in little.

02:15:00 - 02:15:15 | Speaker 1:

comments like remember that key lime pie we had that one time and yesterday i reached the limit for her because i was randomly texting her while she was in boxing class i'm texting her pumpkin cheesecake she's like what are you doing like you've named five desserts in our text thread

02:15:15 - 02:15:32 | Speaker 2:

i just you know i'm excited uh all right so instead of cuffing we're gonna call it fluffing we'll get you caught up on what is trending right now in the dirty on the 30 with shannon so taylor

02:15:32 - 02:16:14 | Speaker 3:

swift fans are pretty pissed off at ticket master after they canceled the public on sale uh that was supposed to happen today for taylor's eras tour i mean this whole week has just been a huge mess with these tickets ticket master posting to their social media yesterday quote Due to extraordinarily high demands and ticketing systems and insufficient remaining ticket inventory to meet that demand, there are no more tickets. Tomorrow's public on sale for Taylor Swift, the heiress tour, has been canceled. Now, Greg Maffey is the CEO of Liberty Media, which owns Live Nation, and Live Nation owns Ticketmaster, okay? So he just said this was so huge, it was absolutely unprecedented.

02:16:15 - 02:16:38 | Speaker 1:

Reality is, it's a function of the massive demand that Taylor Swift has. The site was supposed to be opened up for 1.5 million verified Taylor Swift fans. We had 14 million people hit the site, including bots, another story, which are not supposed to be there. And despite all the challenges and the breakdowns, we did sell over 2 million tickets that day. We could have filled 900 stadiums.

02:16:38 - 02:16:47 | Speaker 3:

He essentially said Taylor Swift is just too big of a celebrity. She is so popular, and he knows and sympathizes with all of the unhappy fans today.

02:16:47 - 02:17:01 | Speaker 1:

I apologize to all our fans. We are working hard on this. And again, you know, building capacity for peak demand is something we attempt to do, but this exceeded every expectation. And the reality is Taylor Swift hasn't been on the road for three or four years, and that's caused a huge issue.

02:17:02 - 02:17:53 | Speaker 3:

Ellen Pompeo is officially saying goodbye to Meredith Gray. She made the announcement yesterday that she is leaving Gray's Anatomy. She's appeared in more than 400 episodes during her 19 seasons with this show. And I know there was lots of talk recently that she was going to reunite with her former Grey's co-star Patrick Dempsey on a new show. She did shoot down those rumors as well, but she said she will be back to visit Grey's Anatomy. Emily Ratajkowski is supposedly dating Pete Davidson. But this is kind of awkward to me because listen to this connection. Pete used to be friends with Emily's soon-to-be ex-husband, Sebastian Bear McClard. They used to go to NBA games together all the time. Actually, Sebastian was the executive producer of the movie, I think it came out this year, Bodies, Bodies, Bodies, which Pete starred in. So there's that. And now he and Emily are supposed to be dating or at least hooking up. I don't know.

02:17:53 - 02:17:58 | Speaker 2:

I'm seeing this happen in real life a lot where people are starting to date others' significance. Yeah. Yeah.

02:17:59 - 02:18:03 | Speaker 3:

Yep. Yep. Emily, I don't know that she wants to be.

02:18:03 - 02:18:05 | Speaker 2:

You say real life. They're not. Well, yeah. They're celebrity life.

02:18:05 - 02:18:26 | Speaker 3:

They're celebrity is not real life. She has expressed interest in dating multiple people, not being monogamous. She did a TikTok yesterday and filmed herself mouthing the words to this audio right here. I would be with multiple men. I would be with also some women as well. Everyone's hot, but in an interesting way.

02:18:27 - 02:18:27 | Unknown:

Yeah.

02:18:28 - 02:18:43 | Speaker 3:

Just in case you're looking for it, a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving will not be airing on TV this year. Are you serious? So you can tell Aunt Pat You can only watch it on Apple TV Plus I know how much this pisses her off

02:18:43 - 02:18:44 | Speaker 1:

That was last year too

02:18:44 - 02:18:54 | Speaker 3:

So I couldn't be sure I know Apple announced that all of the Charlie Brown Holiday specials will be available For non-subscribers to watch For free for a few days

02:18:54 - 02:19:14 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to buy her a subscription Well she can watch it for free Dancing with the Stars She was so upset that Dancing with the Stars moved And I gave her Joe my son Joe's Apple TV password, but she's like too honest. She's a good Catholic girl. She does not want to share passwords? She does not think that that's

02:19:14 - 02:19:16 | Speaker 1:

illegal. I don't think the Lord's going to keep you out of heaven

02:19:16 - 02:19:20 | Speaker 2:

for a password. Yeah, Pat is very honest. And out this weekend

02:19:20 - 02:20:01 | Speaker 3:

Left hand. spring finger Bones and all starring Timothee Chalamet what was it like a rush and the movie about Harvey Weinstein and the me too movement she said starring Carrie Mulligan they were hopeful they were expecting a serious conversation about their work or a possible project instead they say

02:20:00 - 02:20:07 | Speaker 1:

He met them with threats and sexual demands. They claim assault and rape. If that can happen to Hollywood actresses, who else is it happening to?

Now back to Mojo in the Morning. Hey, it's Mojo in the Morning. And we're going to do a phone scam right now with all the Ticketmaster stuff going on with the Taylor Swift concert. This is like a perfect phone scam for Classic Phone Scam Friday. You always know that people are like really fanatical for an artist when stuff like that happened this week happens. And it hasn't, this is not the first time that Taylor Swift has had craziness right before one of her concerts. It happened for one of our listeners, and a husband told us about how his wife was trying to get tickets, and it actually told Spike, hey, there's a phone scan possibility here. My wife's been having issues getting tickets. Can you actually be the people that we call to try to get the tickets?

02:21:13 - 02:21:19 | Speaker 4:

So you gave her our phone number and said, here's the number Taylor Swift says you have to call now for tickets, and I was waiting on the other end.

02:21:19 - 02:21:27 | Speaker 10:

And the beauty of this, of my thing, is you stayed in character the entire time. And afterwards, you probably had, like, a migraine after doing this.

02:21:27 - 02:21:38 | Speaker 5:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scams. Mojo in the morning.

02:31:56 - 02:32:19 | Speaker 1:

We're doing a big video shoot. So every year we do the 12 days of gifting with Lucido. And this year, by the way, if you've done it, we've been doing it for years and years now, but there are thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars of prizes to win. And by the way, no purchase necessary. So stay tuned for how you can get your hands on like sporting event, tickets, and jewelry, and all kinds of experiences. It's going to be so fun.

02:32:19 - 02:32:46 | Speaker 2:

Joe just celebrated a big birthday. He just celebrated his 60th birthday. Dude, Joe looks great. I went out to lunch with Fran and Vince and Joe, and Joe's like, yeah, I got a big birthday coming up, and then Fran's like, he's going to be 60. I'm like, there's no way. First off, the guy doesn't have a gray hair on his head, or beard, or anywhere. He's got to be just massively dying the hell out of it, because there's no way that a 60-year-old... I don't think he does.

02:32:46 - 02:32:48 | Speaker 1:

He says he doesn't. I don't think he does.

02:32:48 - 02:33:05 | Speaker 2:

No, he had me talk to some, you know, like, here's my hairstylist. Yeah, right. Your hairstylist is going to tell Mojo that you don't dye your hair. But the guy's got, it's unbelievable. It's like the greatest gift ever. He has no gray hair. He's like real dark, black, you know, Italian hair. Italian hair. So.

02:33:06 - 02:33:57 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Well, you want to hear what I don't know that I'll ever be invited back to do this 12 days of gifting. So the shoot yesterday was long. It was a couple of hours long. We shot 14 different videos. And so I always like to have like a different outfit. I switch outfits every couple of videos, you know, so all afternoon I'm changing. And so Fran Lucido, Joe's sister, put me in one of the rooms in the back of the store. It's a big, big store. Lucido in Sterling Heights is a humongous store if you've never been there. So they put me in a room in the back so that I could spread out all of my stuff and have some space to, you know, get dressed, do my hair and makeup and change in between videos. Well, I thought that this little window that was in the room that looked out into the showroom was like a one-way window. Okay? Because that's what it used to be. It used to be.

02:33:57 - 02:34:06 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, like the back. I've seen that before. In the back room that you could see out. It was their way to see if somebody comes in, like a customer comes in so they know, okay, you've got to run to the front. Right.

02:34:06 - 02:34:37 | Speaker 1:

So it always used to be you could see out, but nobody could see in. Well, apparently they changed it. And nobody told me. And so everybody who was in the store yesterday from about 1130 until 3 o'clock could see right into the room where I was changing. Boobs. But nobody came in and told you? Well, somebody finally came in and said to me. Actually, it was Joe. Came in and said, just so you know, the glass isn't one way anymore. You got to go in the corner and you're going to change.

02:34:37 - 02:34:40 | Speaker 2:

How long did Joe wait before he came in there to tell you that pervert?

02:34:40 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 1:

Well, Joe didn't see anything. but i think someone said to him and he was just standing he happened to be in the hallway as i walked out but i was so flipping embarrassed you guys because it wasn't pretty yeah well you know have you ever seen a girl try to get into a pair of jeans that are freshly washed not pretty you have to jump up and down like 10 times to get your butt to get

02:35:00 - 02:35:28 | Speaker 2:

i was mortified um i uh i will tell you that uh i feel this way anytime that i go to macy's or nordstrom's uh or you know you go into the the dressing room area and you walk in and they have that door that has the slits in it you know like it's oh yeah closed door and there's like slits in it at this door and i always feel like you can always see fat guy nipple through

02:35:28 - 02:35:38 | Speaker 4:

the thing through the slits yeah well i have to tell you i can remember being little and being like a creep and going and like peeking up the slits to see what you can see curtains are the

02:35:38 - 02:35:41 | Speaker 2:

worst too if they haven't been like curtains are the worst because you know why they never close

02:35:41 - 02:35:46 | Speaker 4:

all the way they there's always like somebody three or four inches that are just you can't

02:35:46 - 02:37:23 | Speaker 2:

yank that thing and you're right it's always some little child that is gonna gonna see and go mom there's a man i see boobs there's a man with uh boobs there's a man with a mangina changing anything it's the worst that that's the the absolute worst um really awesome i i feel bad for my when my kids were younger and they would run into the room and see their dad naked in the uh in the bathroom like they would just come rocking in you know from time to time and Chelsea would always say why don't you lock the door I'm like well I don't lock the door because you got to use the bathroom I don't have locks on my doors oh really so it's just it's a free-for-all see mom see mom lots of questions lately from Smith yeah yeah uh there's there's nothing worse than that if any by the way is that going to be part of their holiday contest will that be uh I don't know how that would be but no no I'm wearing a picture of uh of it who uh Who is the strangest person that saw your naked body? Who saw your naked body that should not have seen your naked body? I always feel bad whenever you see somebody that slips and falls and they're wearing a skirt or something like that. Oh, my God, this is funny. Google this. I don't know if it will be on there. The mom thong at her kid's school. Did you see that? No. I saw that on TikTok the other day. Mom thong at school. I think it might be on there. So the mom was running, and when she ran, she hit bottoms up. I think I saw it on-

02:37:23 - 02:37:24 | Speaker 4:

Oh, wait.

02:37:24 - 02:37:34 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. So a mom in a thong, and she's running in a race, and she fell down, and all the kids are there, and it was like, here's the-

02:37:34 - 02:37:39 | Speaker 4:

She basically mooned all the kids. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, no.

02:37:39 - 02:37:41 | Unknown:

Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

02:37:41 - 02:37:42 | Speaker 4:

I love her.

02:37:42 - 02:38:05 | Speaker 2:

And she basically- What did they call it? They called it that she, they said, Mom and Thong unintentionally moons students. And they said that she went upside down, and it was basically like the letter T that goes up in the air as she basically shows everybody. Oh, I love it. What's up, Jen?

02:38:06 - 02:38:20 | Speaker 3:

Guys, okay. Have you ever been in, like, the public bathrooms, and you're sitting down in the toilet, and there's, like, that two-inch gap in between, like, the door and the wall? Yes! Yes. And then, like, yes. And then you feel like the bottom of the stall door comes up, like, three feet. Yeah.

02:38:20 - 02:38:24 | Speaker 4:

It's especially bad if you're wearing a bodysuit because you're totally naked sitting on that toilet.

02:38:25 - 02:38:31 | Speaker 3:

Either that or, like, you're doing, like, a number two, and then, you know, the whole thing stinks, and then everyone's, like, looking in between the cracks. You can see them looking.

02:38:32 - 02:38:39 | Speaker 2:

Wait. Yeah. So, they're actually, you do a number two, and it's a stinky one, and you're saying that people will look extra to see who it was that laid that one down?

02:38:40 - 02:38:46 | Speaker 3:

I cannot be the only one that's had that happen. Yes. like who's doing that

02:38:46 - 02:38:49 | Speaker 2:

that's funny

02:38:49 - 02:38:49 | Speaker 3:

that's the worst

02:38:49 - 02:39:01 | Speaker 2:

that is bad that is awful that that happens to you no privacy why don't they not make it you know they make these bathrooms like so different these days why don't they make these bathroom doors and stuff so that they don't have that crack you know

02:39:01 - 02:39:08 | Speaker 1:

well they can't get too snug because those things shift people hang on them over time

02:39:08 - 02:39:11 | Speaker 3:

it's weird that other countries don't seem to have that problem

02:39:11 - 02:39:13 | Speaker 2:

wait do other countries have different bathrooms than we do?

02:39:13 - 02:39:16 | Speaker 3:

Most of the countries don't have gaps in their doors. Really? Really?

02:39:16 - 02:39:17 | Speaker 2:

I've never been to other countries.

02:39:17 - 02:39:28 | Speaker 1:

I've never noticed that distinction. I'm going to have... But also, maybe it's also, you know, it's to keep people honest from all the graffiti and the damage and, you know, people are idiots and they can't have nice things.

02:39:28 - 02:39:31 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I don't want to be spied on while I'm doing that, but I feel like I am every single time.

02:39:32 - 02:39:51 | Speaker 2:

Jen, I feel like this happens to me at the airport. I don't know if you ever fly out of Detroit's airport, the Detroit Metro Airport, and you'll have to go to the bathroom and you're in there And there's always people waiting to use the toilet stalls. And I'm like, if I'm going to take a deuce, I got to do it in that airport. I can't go on a plane and go use the bathroom.

02:39:51 - 02:39:53 | Speaker 4:

I know, but I don't like that.

02:39:53 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 3:

There's no gaps there? God forbid you're one of them people who has to drop it naked. Some people get completely naked to do that.

02:40:00 - 02:40:02 | Speaker 4:

There's no gaps there, but the lock never locks.

02:40:02 - 02:40:14 | Speaker 5:

And so I have to stick my foot up on the door to hold that door. And also, you're always busted there. Because as soon as you walk out, someone's walking right in. Right. Because there's always a line. There's no, like, pretending that it wasn't you who made that smell.

02:40:14 - 02:40:19 | Speaker 4:

And you can't completely flush it down, even though they got the industrial flush.

02:40:19 - 02:40:20 | Speaker 2:

You do.

02:40:20 - 02:40:22 | Speaker 4:

Jen, thank you. Have a great weekend.

02:40:22 - 02:40:23 | Speaker 2:

Have a great day, guys.

02:40:23 - 02:40:25 | Speaker 4:

Bye. What's up, Juliana?

02:40:28 - 02:40:30 | Speaker 5:

No, I thought you were ending the topic.

02:40:30 - 02:40:31 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you want me to end the topic?

02:40:31 - 02:40:32 | Speaker 5:

And they seen this little boy seeing my bare butt, and I was so mortified. It was so embarrassing. I couldn't believe that my pants were that tight that they ripped.

02:41:02 - 02:41:05 | Speaker 4:

Where did they rip? Did they rip right, right by the butthole? Really?

02:41:06 - 02:41:10 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Oh, they've seen everything. They've seen everything.

02:41:11 - 02:41:20 | Speaker 4:

But you can go to any of the MGR locations tomorrow to do this, but I'll be at the Sterling Heights location tomorrow from 10 until noon. So if you're anywhere around Van Dyke and 15 Mile, just stop by, grab some canned goods and do a good cause and say hello to me. We just dropped.
