00:02:27 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 8:

Good morning and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. Happy early Thanksgiving I know today is going to be a really crazy travel day I was just listening to what was going on in our local news here today And they had like the proverbial news anchor sitting out at the airport And man, the video that I saw was a lot of people there that early in the morning on a Tuesday I think people for some reason feel like if you get out on Tuesday It's better than the Wednesday travel which typically tomorrow is the busiest travel day of the year. So that is kind of the norm usually, and it's kind of gotten back to it looks like domestic travel being norm. So if you're heading out to the airport today, I'll go screw yourselves. You guys are probably going somewhere nice. But I hope you enjoy your family. I hope everything's good, and bring us on the iHeartRadio app. It would be good to see you. I'm happy that I'm just staying in town. I'm very excited about that.

00:03:48 - 00:03:55 | Speaker 7:

Everybody's staying in town. Anybody going to be traveling at all? Anybody got anything going on here?

00:03:55 - 00:04:19 | Speaker 8:

I think we're all kind of like, is anybody actually driving anywhere? Just to the bar. Is that it? I'm happy. I got a couple of people coming in. I actually have one airport pickup, so I do have an airport pickup for Joe coming in from Florida. That is tomorrow. And then Jacob's driving in today. I was so excited about that from Chicago.

00:04:20 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 2:

Excited to see him or excited to pick him up at the airport?

00:04:24 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 8:

A little bit of both. A little bit of both. Actually, to be honest with you, I used to love when Jacob, pre him having a car in Chicago, he used to have to take the Amtrak home. And I used to love picking him up because there was something that said the holidays. There was something that said the family stone. when you're picking them up at the bus station or at the train station.

00:04:51 - 00:04:56 | Speaker 1:

That's so funny you say that. My sister, Emily, used to live in Chicago and she would take the train as well and it's the same thing.

00:04:56 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 8:

I would pick them up in Ann Arbor and then there was this little, there's this...

00:05:00 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 3:

I don't even know what it's called. It's like a pub. It's a famous pub right across the street.

00:05:04 - 00:05:07 | Speaker 2:

The Fancy Dancer? Gandy Dancer.

00:05:07 - 00:05:10 | Speaker 1:

Gandy Dancer, yes. It's like in an old train, right? Isn't it?

00:05:10 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 3:

And I would go there, and I would have a drink or two, and then Jacob would be driving us home from there. But it was kind of fun. There was something holiday-related to that whole thing. Going to the airport sucks. I hate sitting in the cell phone lot. So I get there. I usually do get there pretty early because I know that it's with my luck I'll get stuck in some of that horrible construction that's on the highways these days. So I'll sit in that cell phone lot, and I'll get there. And I'm there so long that my car auto stops. If you have a Chevy Tahoe, you know what I'm talking about, or any kind of General Motors product, it gives you the countdown to you've been in the car too long with it running, and we know we're going to shut it down because it's not good. And so that's how long I'll sit in that thing. And it's just I wish that they had I wish we had like a like a drive in movie theater at our at Detroit Metro Airport, like where you can go there and you sit back and you kind of like watch TV or watch whatever, like had screens. You're onto something there or screens that showed you like when they're landing, too, would be cool. You know what you need right there is a Chick-fil-A because you're already in line.

00:06:17 - 00:06:17 | Unknown:

Yes.

00:06:17 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 1:

OK, you have to wait in line anyway to get up to the front where you can actually pick people up. So why not be in line to get something?

00:06:25 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 3:

Now you're talking.

00:06:26 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 1:

Right?

00:06:26 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 3:

Now you've got an idea. Could you imagine that?

00:06:29 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 1:

Get a little peppermint chip milkshake or whatever they've got right now.

00:06:33 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 3:

I don't know the airports.

00:06:35 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 1:

Some nuggies.

00:06:35 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 3:

I don't know the airport area very well, but there have been times where I got there early enough where I'm like, oh, maybe I'll go to a Starbucks or McDonald's. And then I just don't know how close I am to it. Because, you know, you ever drive around the neighborhoods around there, like where the rental car place is and stuff?

00:06:51 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 2:

There's not a lot around there.

00:06:53 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 3:

I just don't know. I wish that they had, I don't know, somebody open up a business right by the airport there. I don't know why you'd want to, but what the heck.

00:07:01 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 1:

I mean, the landing strip is right there.

00:07:03 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 3:

That's right. And for those that don't know what the landing strip is, Shannon, will you explain? It is a general club. A little entertainment. And by the way, what a great name for a strip club next to the airport. The landing strip. Could you imagine? That would be the most amazing thing. I'm going to pick up my family coming in for Thanksgiving and they're like, where's dad?

00:07:30 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 1:

I bet that happens more often than you think.

00:07:32 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 3:

Think so? Yeah. You could still just be like, I'm at the landing trip. Where were you? Mike, smart idea there. That's a good one. I could only imagine the reaction of Chelsea if she's like, you were where? I was donating to those during the holidays, the strippers who just want to earn a dollar or two. Yesterday, we had our potluck here at the radio station. It's our Thanksgiving potluck. Everybody either made food or brought food.

00:08:12 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 2:

I have no self-control. I ate like six desserts.

00:08:15 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 3:

Did you?

00:08:16 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I just can't. Desserts look good. Put it in front of me because they're all homemade, too. Except for KP's pumpkin pie, but I love a Costco pumpkin pie, too.

00:08:26 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 3:

It's calling you out, KP. No, it's good. KP and I actually bought food to bring. We didn't bring food.

00:08:34 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 2:

I forgot my pie, so I had to turn it back around and go home and get it in the morning.

00:08:38 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 3:

Remember, he woke up at 4 a.m. to make his. Which, by the way, it looked delicious.

00:08:42 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 2:

It was delicious. But don't discount the piece. Yours was so good. You know, you have to know your strengths. If you don't, like, Hassan in our sales department knows he can't cook. He brought the ice. You have to have ice at every party. He really did. Yeah. But you know what? We need ice.

00:08:59 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 3:

You know what? That's interesting. Call us up at 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Sign that you're a bad cook. Tell us what it is that you're required to bring to your Thanksgiving dinner. because anybody that, like, Hassan brings the ice or the pop, you know, they're the ones. The rolls.

00:09:19 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 1:

Can I tell you something? I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year for my entire family, for Wes, his kids, my mom's boyfriend, his family. I'm having everybody over my house. My family knows I can't cook to save my life. So my sister very nicely was like, so we think that everybody should bring something. I said, yes, that would help me out a lot. And she's like, are you ordering, like, food from anywhere, too? I said, yes, Jacqueline. I got the turkey from Whole Foods. And she goes, oh, okay, good. So when they make sure that your food is coming not from you, you also know you're the bad cook.

00:09:55 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 2:

Well, and get this straight. I only brought the casserole dish that I made my little specialty. Because it's Thanksgiving If this was any other potluck I would have been the guy bringing the rolls Or the ice Because I don't cook So if it was an Easter brunch, forget it I don't have anything to offer you But it was Thanksgiving I'm like, oh, the one thing I can make I'm going to make sure I make it The sweet potato Sweet potato and apple Oh, it was so good But I don't know how to make anything for Christmas Or a summer barbecue I'm out, I'll bring the beer I'm the beer guy

00:10:27 - 00:10:31 | Speaker 4:

Did any of you guys have the banana, the banana cream pudding?

00:10:31 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 3:

No, but I, I heard about, I heard about that. There was actually a big shocker of who made it.

00:10:37 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 4:

So I had, I was, I had to, well, I made Colleen get up and ask, Colleen is our new boss, whose dish that was, because I want the recipe so bad to cook, God willing, for Thursday for my family. And everybody, nobody would admit to it. And I'm like, but we're asking because it's so, so incredibly good. And finally, Les, Lester, who has been in our promotions department for, I don't even know how long, 30 years or something crazy, right? He just celebrated. Yeah. He very shyly raised his hand and he was like, it was me.

00:11:11 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 3:

Lester. Lester. Is that unbelievable?

00:11:13 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 4:

His daughter found the recipe on TikTok. And so I got the story. And so he followed it step by step with his daughter also on FaceTime. And I said, Les, this is by far the best thing here Everything was good But this was the hit So last night, I said, can I please have the recipe Last night at 9.30 I get a text message from an unknown number And it was his daughter texting me The video

00:11:38 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's cute

00:11:40 - 00:11:41 | Speaker 4:

Of how to make it

00:11:41 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 3:

We should post that up on our social It is so good Lester was the hit at the potluck The office potluck yesterday That was so awesome Mojo in the morning. Marissa, the sign that you're not a great cook, what are you bringing to Thanksgiving dinner?

00:12:01 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 1:

I got to bring the cans of corn.

00:12:04 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 2:

Oh, man. That's another one. They don't even want you to make anything with it, huh?

00:12:08 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 1:

Not a great cook, Marissa? No, just bring it, and they'll make it when I get there.

00:12:15 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that wonderful? Does that insult you at all when they say that to you, or does it make you go, okay, yeah, I get it?

00:12:22 - 00:12:31 | Speaker 1:

No, it's been like this for a while. I just bring it, and then they just do it for me, and it's good to go.

00:12:31 - 00:12:32 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:12:34 - 00:12:46 | Speaker 1:

I like the texter who says that they're the rolls person.

00:12:47 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 3:

313 says, the rolls, just the rolls.

00:12:51 - 00:12:53 | Speaker 2:

You were asked to bring the rolls? You are not a good cook.

00:12:55 - 00:13:18 | Speaker 3:

How about this one? The person that door dashes, that actually will go and door dash whatever food item it is. You better hope that whatever is open is open, right? When that happens. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. What is it that you bring to the party? I like the wine people. The wine people are the good ones.

00:13:18 - 00:13:21 | Speaker 4:

I love when people ask me to bring it, too.

00:13:21 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 3:

I'm down We know you like wine

00:13:23 - 00:13:29 | Speaker 4:

I'm more than happy To drink it all, everything that I bring

00:13:29 - 00:13:36 | Speaker 3:

And then I don't feel bad Just bring a bunch of Oh my god The napkins

00:13:36 - 00:13:46 | Speaker 4:

They don't even trust you to go to the store At that point And pick out something edible

00:13:46 - 00:14:14 | Speaker 3:

You gotta go get the napkins Oh my god I don't know why I am so excited for this Thanksgiving. I actually was thinking about this, and I don't know your guys' thoughts, but they're talking about how people are not going to do Thanksgiving this year because of the economy. And I thought to myself, if you're going to give up a holiday, what holiday is the holiday to give up? Because I think Thanksgiving is better than Christmas.

00:14:15 - 00:14:25 | Speaker 4:

I love Thanksgiving. I could do without Easter. I know as a believer Easter's the biggie But I'm saying having people over and stuff

00:14:25 - 00:14:44 | Speaker 3:

Having to wear a suit all day I could do without Easter New Year's Eve, bye Valentine's Day Valentine's Day, definitely Valentine's Day is sweetest day Yucko But we're also married guys, right? Saying that Megan, what holiday are you giving up? If you had to give up one holiday

00:14:44 - 00:15:01 | Speaker 4:

This feels bad but probably like the 4th of July. Oh, I love 4th of July. We'll have a good barbecue. Yeah, but you can barbecue literally any day in the summer. And all of the 4th of July is fire. and I don't really like fireworks.

00:15:01 - 00:15:03 | Speaker 7:

Fireworks and drunk drivers. Exactly.

00:15:04 - 00:15:08 | Speaker 4:

Even Easter, though. Easter is a good breakfast holiday. I love a good breakfast holiday.

00:15:09 - 00:15:11 | Speaker 6:

That's true. Yeah. What's going on, Stephen?

00:15:12 - 00:15:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Good morning, everyone.

00:15:15 - 00:15:19 | Speaker 6:

Good morning, Stephen. What is it that you're required to bring to the Thanksgiving meal?

00:15:20 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 7:

Desserts. And it's always going to be store-bought desserts that day.

00:15:23 - 00:15:32 | Speaker 6:

Really? What do you end up getting? Let me ask you a question because this was a big thing on TikTok. Pecan or pecan? How do you pronounce it?

00:15:34 - 00:15:34 | Speaker 7:

Pecan.

00:15:34 - 00:15:46 | Speaker 6:

Pecan. I like it. Why do I say pecan? What do you say? I say pecan pie. Pecan. Pecan. I think I said pecan pie. But there's a lot more people now saying it's pecan. Pecan pie. What's going on, Casey? How you doing?

00:15:47 - 00:15:48 | Unknown:

Good. How are you?

00:15:48 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 6:

Good. You know that you're the bad cook when you're asked to bring what to Thanksgiving?

00:15:54 - 00:15:55 | Speaker 2:

The veggie tray.

00:15:56 - 00:16:07 | Speaker 5:

Now, that's very important, though. I'm telling you, because the ratio of vegetables, like, who likes raw cauliflower? That's like the honeydew melon of the vegetable trade. I like it. I love raw cauliflower.

00:16:07 - 00:16:08 | Speaker 6:

I'm with you.

00:16:08 - 00:16:09 | Speaker 5:

You guys.

00:16:09 - 00:16:12 | Speaker 6:

Megan and I like it. Like radishes. But we only like it.

00:16:12 - 00:16:13 | Speaker 5:

You can't have it on a veggie tray.

00:16:13 - 00:16:20 | Speaker 6:

We only like it if we're dipping it into that ranchy dill sauce or whatever that thing is. All the veggies are just a vessel. You eat it plain?

00:16:20 - 00:16:24 | Speaker 4:

I eat raw cauliflower plain all the time. Who are you?

00:16:24 - 00:16:24 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:16:25 - 00:16:28 | Speaker 4:

It's like broccoli, but good. No. Now I'm turning on you.

00:16:28 - 00:16:29 | Speaker 5:

I did not even compare those two.

00:16:30 - 00:16:35 | Speaker 4:

But they're like the same texture. I'm a texture person, and they're like the same texture. It's so good.

00:16:36 - 00:16:49 | Speaker 6:

Casey, who are you celebrating Thanksgiving with this year? Casey? Yeah. Hi. Who are you celebrating Thanksgiving with this year? Oh, my family. Nice. Mom, dad, everybody like that?

00:16:49 - 00:16:50 | Speaker 7:

I have six brothers and sisters.

00:16:50 - 00:16:51 | Speaker 6:

Oh, that's sweet.

00:16:51 - 00:17:03 | Speaker 7:

Who's the one that's going to start the fight at the dinner table? Your brother, isn't it? I knew it's him. There's a couple of us, yeah. There's a couple of us. He said us. Us.

00:17:04 - 00:17:10 | Speaker 6:

I think the most genius person might be on the phone line with us right now. Ashley, tell everybody what you do.

00:17:11 - 00:17:19 | Speaker 2:

I pretend not to be a good cook so that I don't have to make anything, and I don't bring any dirty dishes home with me, so I just bring, like, napkins or plates or whatever.

00:17:20 - 00:17:30 | Speaker 6:

Are you not the smartest person in the room? That's the greatest thing ever. Yeah. So what are you bringing then for Thursday? Oh, I don't know

00:17:30 - 00:17:32 | Speaker 5:

She was scared We were going to ask her

00:17:32 - 00:17:43 | Speaker 3:

As an all-fam, you want to know what the rumor is? Come on. Oh, come on. So, remember how Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles just broke up? Well, the show that happened right before their breakup. Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner were there with Hailey Bieber. And Harry Styles used to date Kendall Jenner. They think that they're going to rekindle their relationship. A lot of people forget about that. That's awesome. A lot of people forget. They used to date back in the day. I'm here for it. And I love them together. I truly do. And she's not my favorite Kardashian, and I love them together.

00:21:03 - 00:21:16 | Speaker 4:

Well, they kept their breakup on the down low, and I'm told the reason, and I'm saying this in quotation marks. It was Harry Styles. Right. But the reason that we're all hearing is that they're both busy. Their schedules made it hard to see. Who else said they were busy?

00:21:16 - 00:21:17 | Speaker 5:

Who else said they were busy?

00:21:18 - 00:21:20 | Speaker 3:

Busy with each other. What, the Harry and Olivia?

00:21:20 - 00:21:44 | Speaker 4:

Do you guys remember Julia Fox, the Uncut Gems actress that Kanye West dated very briefly for, like, five weeks after splitting from Kim Kardashian? Well, she's now talking, and her story is that she dated Kanye only to distract him from harassing Kim. So, like, she was trying to do a good deed.

00:21:44 - 00:22:10 | Speaker 3:

Sure, sure. First of all, the man was being normal around me. By the time me and him got together, it was like he hadn't been doing anything, you know, like out there yet. Then I had this thought and I was like, oh, my God, maybe I can get him off Kim's case. Like, maybe I can distract him, like, just get him to like me. And I would say that that month that we spent together, he wasn't on Twitter. First of all, he wasn't on any forms of social media.

00:22:11 - 00:22:13 | Speaker 2:

She should get a Nobel Peace Prize for that.

00:22:13 - 00:22:14 | Speaker 3:

He didn't even talk about his relationship.

00:22:15 - 00:22:19 | Speaker 4:

She said as soon as he hopped back on Twitter, that was the end of it.

00:22:19 - 00:22:25 | Speaker 3:

The moment he started tweeting, I was out. And that's the thing. It's like, I'd already been like, dude, I'm not going to stick around for this.

00:22:25 - 00:22:27 | Speaker 2:

She's doing God's work.

00:22:27 - 00:22:35 | Speaker 3:

I already got paid, and my contract is out. He wasn't going to take my help. I was like, I want to help him. I want to help him. But anyway, I was delusional. I thought I could help him anyway. It didn't work.

00:22:36 - 00:22:38 | Speaker 2:

Wow, that's unbelievable. Who would have thought?

00:22:39 - 00:22:59 | Speaker 4:

Nick Cannon, who is set to welcome his 12th child literally any day now, says he may be done expanding his tribe. However, and this is a big however, he said he's unsure if any little more cannons will pop up soon. Like, he doesn't know if anybody else is pregnant.

00:22:59 - 00:23:02 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really? Right now. So there could be somebody out there pregnant?

00:23:02 - 00:23:28 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yep. He did tell Billboard magazine that fatherhood is his number one priority. He gushed about how his kids are the driving force behind his career. And he said they are the funniest, most innovative, best questions. Every project I'm working on now is through my children's eyes. And real quick, the four couples remaining on Dancing with the Stars faced off in last night's finale. If anybody was watching, spoiler alert, who won?

00:23:29 - 00:23:34 | Speaker 5:

The winners and new champions of Dancing with the Stars are...

00:23:37 - 00:23:40 | Speaker 2:

Just say it.

00:23:41 - 00:23:53 | Speaker 4:

Charlie and Mark! Charlie D'Amelio, you know her if you watch. I don't want to change you to win. For all of today's Dirty, check out that Dirty page on MojoInTheMorning.com.

00:23:53 - 00:24:07 | Speaker 2:

That's a big Dirty today. That was a big, big Dirty. Who would have thought? Are you making fun of me? No, I'm saying that Harry Styles and Kendall Jenner rumor. That might be the rumor. Megan, I finally went back and watched that TikTok that you sent me about...

00:24:07 - 00:24:16 | Speaker 5:

Tom Brady and Giselle break up and how it's not real and how it's just to save all their money after their lawsuit with this fraudulent little company. Crypto? Yeah, yeah. What do you think?

00:24:16 - 00:24:24 | Speaker 2:

Well, I think that you're on to something. I think you are. We're going to have to come up with a new feature. It's going to be Megan's Conspiracy Theory.

00:24:24 - 00:24:28 | Speaker 5:

I love it. Yeah. Some of them are right, and then some of them are very wrong.

00:24:28 - 00:24:32 | Speaker 2:

We've got the 30s for the dirties, the conspiracies on the nines or something. I don't know.

00:24:33 - 00:24:53 | Speaker 1:

00:24:55 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 2:

Time now for a phone scam. We are going to do a phone scam this morning.

00:25:00 - 00:25:10 | Speaker 1:

on Darren. Darren is the manager of a home improvement store. Spike is going to call about a defective product that he bought at the store. It's a Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

00:25:10 - 00:25:20 | Speaker 2:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scams. Mojo in the Morning.

00:25:23 - 00:25:27 | Speaker 4:

Well, hello. Is Darren there, please?

00:25:27 - 00:25:36 | Speaker 3:

um give me one second thank you up to 36 months no interest financing on a qualifying reading

00:25:36 - 00:25:50 | Speaker 4:

system is a modern comfort system where this is darren hello darren i'm calling about some hedge clippers i bought at your store i think i cause injury and they're dangerous so i should

00:25:50 - 00:25:56 | Speaker 3:

let you know okay is this a return uh go ahead and come on in just bring the receipt well let

00:25:56 - 00:26:27 | Speaker 4:

tell you what happened my wife has one of those stupid air fryers and she's running that and her peloton bike and she's got the tv blasting at top volume and next thing you know the power goes out at our house so i go outside and i climb up on the pole darren and i say two wires and it looked like they were touching so what i did was i took my hedge clippers that i bought at your store so I clipped one of them with your hedge clippers.

00:26:28 - 00:26:30 | Speaker 3:

Which hedge clippers are you talking about, sir?

00:26:30 - 00:26:41 | Speaker 4:

I got the cordless green machine with the 25-inch dual-action cutting blade and a rapid-charge battery, and it was a big flash of light like an explosion.

00:26:43 - 00:26:43 | Speaker 3:

Oh.

00:26:44 - 00:26:45 | Speaker 4:

Huh? I can't hear you.

00:26:46 - 00:26:48 | Speaker 3:

I didn't say anything. You touched the electric wires?

00:26:49 - 00:27:13 | Speaker 4:

Well, I didn't touch them, no. I used the hedge clippers that I bought at your store, so I was like three feet away when I clipped them. But there was a big explosion when I cut the wires. So it pushed me backwards, and I fell off the pole, and I'm laying on the grass, and it feels like I've broken my back in about four different places. But maybe that's just because I landed in our rock garden.

00:27:15 - 00:27:19 | Speaker 3:

Sir, have you called an ambulance, or have you gotten medical attention?

00:27:19 - 00:27:47 | Speaker 4:

Huh? I can't hear you. Well, no, I called you guys there. But anyway, now it looks like the whole neighborhood is dark. And if I tell you Wally is going to be so mad at me, he lives down on the corner and he always watches Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. And if he doesn't have power and he looks out the window and sees me holding these hedge clippers laying here with my hair on fire, he's going to come out and beat me two ways from Sunday.

00:27:48 - 00:27:51 | Speaker 3:

I would definitely advise you to call 911.

00:27:52 - 00:28:13 | Speaker 4:

Well, you're the one that sold me these hedge clippers. Can you come out and get the power fixed? Well, I think really... And also, if Wally sees you here when you're fixing, tell him that a bird or a squirrel was messing with the wire or something so he doesn't get mail at me. I, uh...

00:28:13 - 00:28:19 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I smell gas. If you're smelling gas, you should leave the area immediately

00:28:19 - 00:28:29 | Speaker 4:

No, no, it's just my own gas So you can come help me get the power back on? Oh, that call did not go as long as I thought I would

00:28:29 - 00:28:54 | Speaker 2:

We will, we will scam you If I could say anything I wanted to I'd say that was f***ing funny s*** right there I don't care who you are. It's the home of the world-famous phone scams. Mojo in the Morning! It's Mojo in the Morning, 5 at 6.55.

00:29:00 - 00:29:05 | Speaker 1:

Welcome, Olivia, back to us. Olivia, would this be four? Am I right in saying that? Four in a row?

00:29:06 - 00:29:07 | Speaker 4:

I have no idea.

00:29:07 - 00:29:29 | Speaker 1:

You have no idea? I think we're at four. But I could be wrong because I've been wrong. Four, right, KP? Perfect. KP says she's keeping track, but guess what? It feels like just yesterday that you started with us. And today you're taking on Paige. Say hello to your challenger. Good morning. Hello, Paige.

00:29:29 - 00:29:30 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Paige. Hi.

00:29:31 - 00:29:34 | Speaker 1:

Can you knock off the champion today? Or do you think you're good enough to do that?

00:29:36 - 00:29:37 | Speaker 3:

I hope so.

00:29:37 - 00:29:52 | Speaker 1:

All right. Well, yesterday was kind of a rough one. Let's see how you do today, okay? I'm going to lock up Olivia in a soundproof area. Good luck to you guys. Five pop culture trivia questions. Whoever gets the most right wins. Ty always goes to the champion. Where are you from, Paige?

00:29:53 - 00:29:54 | Speaker 3:

Conklin.

00:29:54 - 00:29:55 | Speaker 1:

Where's Conklin at?

00:29:56 - 00:29:59 | Speaker 3:

In the middle of nowhere in two cornfields.

00:30:00 - 00:30:42 | Speaker 1:

Two out of five.

00:32:17 - 00:32:20 | Speaker 2:

No, you are so dumb. You are really dumb, for real.

00:32:20 - 00:32:27 | Speaker 1:

No, don't say that to her. Conklin doesn't get much action going on, so you probably don't know a lot of these stories, right?

00:32:30 - 00:32:32 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, unless it's under a rock.

00:32:32 - 00:32:57 | Speaker 1:

00:33:56 - 00:33:59 | Speaker 1:

Congratulations. She's pretty good, isn't she, Paige?

00:34:00 - 00:34:02 | Speaker 2:

I would have to say so.

00:34:02 - 00:34:18 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. You know what's nice about this, Paige? I think you only did this for the prize, and I don't blame you, okay? because you got tickets to see Pink at Comerica Park. Are you serious?

00:34:18 - 00:34:21 | Speaker 2:

Absolutely. It's going to be a great show.

00:34:21 - 00:34:35 | Speaker 1:

Tickets on sale right now to see Pink. They went on sale yesterday at Comerica Park. Yes. What kind of a drive is it from Conklin, Michigan to Detroit, Michigan?

00:34:36 - 00:34:38 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's like at least three hours.

00:34:38 - 00:34:52 | Speaker 1:

Is it? Well, you know what? August the 16th. Don't make any plans to do anything and fill up that gas tank, okay? Holy crap. Okay, thank you so much. You are so welcome. Thank you. How do you listen to us? How did you find the Mojo in the Morning Show?

00:34:53 - 00:34:58 | Speaker 2:

Honestly, my mom's a big fan and listens to it every single morning.

00:34:58 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh.

00:35:00 - 00:35:21 | Speaker 3:

00:35:21 - 00:35:24 | Speaker 1:

Don't let her fool you. 35 minutes and a world away.

00:35:25 - 00:35:47 | Speaker 3:

Mike, Mike. Yeah, with all the dirt roads. Mike's going to come visit you sometime. Do you recommend that? You know, I hope he has four-wheel drive. All right. He'll take the S&X Jeep. Okay? All right. Tell Tim we've got to load up the S&X Jeep. You might have to fill it up maybe a couple of times. All right. Hang on. We'll get you your tickets. Thanks for listening to us. Love you.

00:35:48 - 00:35:53 | Speaker 1:

Yes, thank you. All right. Bye. It's Mojo in the Mornings 5 at 6.55.

00:35:55 - 00:36:06 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Mornings show. so there's something that spike is doing with his daughters that maybe some other parents are doing

00:36:06 - 00:36:48 | Speaker 1:

too what is it spike well for the past two weeks or so my kids have pointed out that they have asked me to buy them things and i always say okay but it's a christmas gift so you're not getting it until christmas and i realized crap kind of turning into my parents here because i've been holding clothes um anything really like nicole wanted an eyebrow pencil and i was we were in ulta and i'm like well it's gonna be your christmas gift here we'll buy it but you're not taking it home with you i had to put it in your christmas stock wait wait a second wait hold on a second an eyebrow pencil i'm doing it with anything christmas gift i'm doing it with like toothpaste it doesn't matter i'm like yeah you know oh toothpaste that's mean yeah i'm like Sorry.

00:36:48 - 00:36:50 | Speaker 2:

You're a little crate with it.

00:36:50 - 00:36:56 | Speaker 1:

If we buy anything for this month, I'm going to wrap it up and you're going to open it on Christmas. My kids are so annoyed at me.

00:36:56 - 00:36:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, they should be.

00:36:58 - 00:36:59 | Speaker 1:

These are necessities.

00:36:59 - 00:37:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, those are.

00:37:00 - 00:37:02 | Speaker 1:

Everything's a necessity to my daughters.

00:37:02 - 00:37:20 | Speaker 2:

I told my kids we're on a buying freeze. It started this week. Yeah. Buying freeze. And I feel like I'm turning into my mom because we used to hate when my mom, she would do it like right after Halloween. Buying freeze. Do not ask for anything. Put it on your Christmas list. I mean, she would say that to us. Until she was blue in the face. Put it on your Christmas list.

00:37:20 - 00:37:35 | Speaker 1:

We were walking around the mall this weekend, and my daughter wanted this black shirt from the North Face. And I was like, well, okay, I'll get it for you. And I carried it out. And she's like, well, wait, where's my shirt? I said, well, no, this is getting wrapped for Christmas. She's like, but I want to wear it now. I said, I'm sorry. You're in the window now. It's one month. Yep.

00:37:36 - 00:37:41 | Speaker 2:

Now, toothpaste and an eyebrow pencil are, that's like over the top.

00:37:41 - 00:37:49 | Speaker 1:

The eyebrow pencil is, I'm like, with the toothpaste, I'm being facetious. But the eyebrow pencil is not a necessity. It is a necessity

00:37:49 - 00:37:52 | Speaker 2:

What is wrong with you?

00:37:52 - 00:37:54 | Speaker 1:

She's got 80 eyebrow pencils

00:37:54 - 00:37:59 | Speaker 2:

But you have the good one That's like saying deodorant Not a necessity

00:37:59 - 00:38:03 | Speaker 3:

Wait, wait What are you spending money on?

00:38:03 - 00:38:06 | Speaker 1:

My daughters No, come on

00:38:06 - 00:38:08 | Speaker 3:

You probably have bought some stuff

00:38:08 - 00:38:17 | Speaker 1:

I buy more Christmas gifts for myself at Christmas Than I buy for everybody else Because I never go shopping So when I'm actually out walking around I'm like, ooh, I want this, I want that.

00:38:17 - 00:38:33 | Speaker 2:

But I also, I see, now here's where I make myself feel better about that, because I'm the same way. Like, this is the time of year where everything's on sale, so I'm like, oh, I'm going to wait and buy this, this, this, until this time of year. But I don't get Christmas gifts, so I'm like, I have to. You don't get Christmas gifts at all? My mom will get me something, but that's usually better.

00:38:33 - 00:38:35 | Speaker 3:

But you got a boyfriend this year, though.

00:38:35 - 00:38:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but we're not doing Christmas gifts this year because we're taking a little trip right after Christmas for my birthday. Wait, that's a gift. No, it's for my birthday. So we both decided no Christmas gifts. Because we're going to save our money for that trip to put towards that. So no gifts. What about the kids? Andrew doesn't get you something for the kids? He might.

00:38:54 - 00:38:54 | Unknown:

Grow!

00:38:54 - 00:38:55 | Speaker 2:

I don't know.

00:38:56 - 00:39:15 | Speaker 1:

As stingy as I seem, I do want to say, I ask my girls for lists all the time. They won't give me a list. I'm like, tell me some things I could buy you for Christmas. They don't give me anything. So when I finally say, oh, you do want something here. You want this facial whatever it is from Ulta. I'm going to buy it from you and put it in. Santa's going to give it.

00:39:15 - 00:39:25 | Speaker 3:

Are there any other parents that do this, that put it on the list, put it on the list, and they're as petty as Spike is with things like the eyebrow pencil or toothpaste?

00:39:27 - 00:39:32 | Speaker 2:

What about tampons? Is she allowed to have tampons? They are not the same thing. Are they stocking stuff for now?

00:39:32 - 00:39:34 | Speaker 1:

An eyebrow pencil is not a necessity.

00:39:34 - 00:39:53 | Speaker 3:

My daughter does need some lozenges, but that'll be a stocking stuff right now. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Text is 95500. Look at these text messages here. Spike, what kind of a dad are you to not buy your daughters things that they need?

00:39:53 - 00:39:57 | Speaker 2:

I love this one. Spike's daughter, poor girl, can't even have eyebrows till Christmas.

00:39:57 - 00:40:03 | Speaker 1:

She's got 70 eyebrows. pencils they're all over the bathroom counter she's probably really mad at you but you can't

00:40:03 - 00:40:20 | Speaker 2:

tell because her eyebrows are not oh my god by the way when you go shopping you you end up like buying a bunch of stuff for yourself you guys do that uh i always do yeah oh yeah really every

00:40:20 - 00:40:26 | Speaker 1:

i never never take the time to myself to go out and get things i need so when i'm out looking for

00:40:26 - 00:40:42 | Speaker 6:

other people i'm like oh look at these pants the problem is everything is so discounted now and i'm like it'll never be this again i gotta take advantage so i always will save too if i need like a coat or like something that's a little bit bigger i always try to to put it off to buy it this

00:40:42 - 00:41:27 | Speaker 3:

time of year because it's usually cheaper chelsea what's up um my mother is like this she started buying my daughter stuff in October and the first thing was a winter jacket and she was like I'm just gonna wait until like why would you wait until Christmas it's like you know like two months into the year like she's just like no I'm just gonna wait to give it to her like get my kid the winter jacket it's just her own grandchild's freezing in her you know what I'm saying yeah she had to walk To the bus stop Like you know Just be a grandma Just give her the coat It's a coat I gave the kid my coat I was like Oh let me see it And then called my kid In the room Like here you go Yeah It's not an option

00:41:27 - 00:41:31 | Speaker 2:

That just seems I don't know It seems very cruel

00:41:31 - 00:41:34 | Speaker 3:

She's stinky as hell I hope she's listening

00:41:34 - 00:41:37 | Speaker 2:

What's her name What's her name Tell everybody her name

00:41:37 - 00:41:43 | Speaker 3:

Susan Susan Susan I hope Susan Buck I hope you hear this First hand

00:41:43 - 00:41:45 | Speaker 2:

First hand last name

00:41:45 - 00:41:49 | Speaker 1:

But what about eyebrow pencils, Chelsea? I mean, that's not a necessity like a coat, right?

00:41:49 - 00:41:53 | Speaker 3:

No, that's absolutely a necessity. When I heard you say that, that's what reminded me of my mother.

00:41:53 - 00:41:54 | Speaker 1:

All right, hang up on her.

00:41:54 - 00:41:58 | Speaker 2:

I don't want to talk to her anymore. Hi, Cassie. Hi.

00:41:59 - 00:42:14 | Speaker 4:

Hi. I think a lot of it does have to do with age. I have to say that. But my daughter wants a face cream for Malta, and it's $25, $30. Yeah. And that's going to be a Christmas present. Yeah. Ain't no way I'm spending that right now. It's a luxury.

00:42:15 - 00:42:15 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:42:16 - 00:42:19 | Speaker 4:

Right. Like, I'm not, she's not Perry Shelton. She can wait.

00:42:21 - 00:42:23 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Katie, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:42:24 - 00:42:26 | Speaker 5:

Hey, listen to you guys every morning. Love you.

00:42:26 - 00:42:28 | Speaker 2:

Oh, we love you, too. Thank you.

00:42:29 - 00:43:03 | Speaker 5:

So, I just wanted to say that I'm absolutely this person. I don't go shopping, especially after COVID. And one year, it was probably three or four years ago, right before COVID, went with all my cousins, were in, like, I don't know, one of those outlets. and I went to Express, and I buy all my work clothes there and probably everything else, and I get up to the counter, and all my younger cousins are watching, and I'm, like, setting this terrible example because they go, oh, do you want a gift receipt? And I was like, no, and everyone blessed it out laughing, and I was like, what? This is the time of year to get all the cheap clothes. I don't know the problem. Yeah.

00:43:03 - 00:43:10 | Speaker 1:

I came home from the mall. I had, like, three bags, and my girlfriend's like, oh, you did good. You got them things. I'm like, no, I didn't find anything for my girls. This is all for me.

00:43:10 - 00:43:22 | Speaker 2:

do people ask you like when you're shopping uh do they say to you would you like a gift wrapped and do you ever say yeah i'll take the gift box you know just because you don't want people to

00:43:22 - 00:43:36 | Speaker 1:

know it's for you no i do the opposite i do you could just put it in this bag and i have them all put all the things i buy all day into the one big shopping bag so it looks like i only went to one store instead of okay instead of i bought myself yeah by the way you always take the gift box

00:43:36 - 00:43:39 | Speaker 6:

because you can always use a gift box, especially if it's free.

00:43:40 - 00:43:43 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning Show. We'll be right back.

00:43:46 - 00:43:50 | Speaker 6:

00:45:00 - 00:45:06 | Speaker 1:

to go check that out but um they did a great job with that song it's a tough song to remake so it's

00:45:06 - 00:45:10 | Speaker 3:

i think it's so good it's one of my of course i love it but it's one of my favorite i love that

00:45:10 - 00:45:26 | Speaker 1:

that song the original one is is still absolutely the best and i think the backstreet boys would probably say that too but um the original with uh wham but uh it's one of like those songs that comes on and you're like you're happy singing last christmas i gave you my you know it's like

00:45:26 - 00:45:31 | Speaker 3:

I like Taylor Swift's version, too. I know Megan's going to hate on me for saying that. I'm sorry, but I do.

00:45:34 - 00:45:35 | Speaker 1:

Well, to each his own.

00:45:36 - 00:45:39 | Speaker 3:

One day I am going to get murdered by the Swifties. I'm sorry.

00:45:40 - 00:45:43 | Speaker 1:

By the way, report that in the conspiracy on the nines.

00:45:43 - 00:45:47 | Speaker 3:

No, people were saying the theory after the 30 is what we should call it.

00:45:47 - 00:46:08 | Speaker 1:

The theory after the 30. Yeah, we talked about that last hour. All right, Mojo in the morning show. So I feel like we need a segment on the show for Shannon's son, Smith, because this kid is the greatest. And he gets himself into a little, you know, trouble every now and again. But he makes for great conversation on the radio.

00:46:08 - 00:46:41 | Speaker 3:

He is five now, five and a half almost, if you ask him. His half birthday is quickly approaching. He keeps reminding me. We were at Michael's yesterday grabbing a few things for, I'm trying to, you know, get ready for Thanksgiving, but also decorate a little bit for Christmas. So my house feels cozy when everybody comes over on Thursday. And so if you've ever been to Michael's, you get into the line. And this time of year, it's a longer line. And it's like a maze of crap. Okay? It's just like HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, Marshalls. You get in the line.

00:46:42 - 00:46:43 | Speaker 2:

All at child's eye level, too.

00:46:43 - 00:47:55 | Speaker 3:

Yes. It's so much crap that you didn't anticipate needing, but all of a sudden you think you need it. And at Michael's specifically, it's all of, like, the holiday candies, the stocking stuffers. I mean, it's, like, good crap. So they have this humongous bin. And, Mike, I know you know what these are of squish mellows. Yes. They're, like, these really soft stuffed animals, okay? And they're, like, bigger. You know, like, they're a good size. But they had it piled so high. It was about as tall as me. I'm five feet tall. So Smith and I are chatting as we're, you know, getting up closer to the cash registers. And, of course, he goes to pull one from the pile, the middle of the pile of squishmallows, and the whole tower goes tumbling into the checkout line. And thank goodness there was this sweet mom with a baby who helped Smith and myself clean it all up. And I really just want to give her a shout out right now because she then DMed me on Instagram and said she was too chicken to say something, but she was the one who helped us put all these back. So, Rebecca L. Ellert, you are an angel. Thank you so much for being so kind and not judging me as you helped my child and I pick up all of these squishmallows.

00:47:55 - 00:47:57 | Speaker 1:

What did the person behind the counter do?

00:47:57 - 00:47:57 | Speaker 3:

Nothing.

00:47:58 - 00:48:14 | Speaker 1:

Because I have to be honest with you. I've been to Michael's maybe five or ten times in my lifetime. Usually when the kids had a project to do, we had to go there. Right. Not a fan of the store. Not a fan of it because I feel like the people that work there just seem like they're miserable.

00:48:14 - 00:48:16 | Speaker 3:

Well, and there was only one cashier.

00:48:17 - 00:48:19 | Speaker 1:

I was just going to say, every time I've been in, one cashier.

00:48:19 - 00:48:45 | Speaker 3:

There were probably about, this is not an exaggeration, 20-plus people in line. One cashier, but they also do have the self-checkouts. Well, the problem was people were having trouble with the self-checkouts, and so that was causing an issue, and I wasn't checking out. I was actually returning some stuff in this particular trip and buying some stuff, so I needed to see the live lady who was there, poor thing, struggling. Live lady. The real in person lady

00:48:45 - 00:49:04 | Speaker 1:

Who by the way is not always Really alive Let me tell you about the people that work at that store The people that work at that store It's usually like An older Or middle aged woman And then a teen kid Who could care less about being there

00:49:04 - 00:49:32 | Speaker 3:

This poor woman I felt bad because If you've ever seen Zootopia I've referenced this before You know the scene with the sloths I have to walk out of the room when that scene comes on because... This was this poor woman to the point where the two little old ladies who were in front of Smith and I, the lady was taking so long, she finally looked at me and she looked at Smith and she goes, he can just have my change when she finally manages to get it out of the drawer. I said, okay, thank you. Smith was so excited.

00:49:32 - 00:49:39 | Speaker 1:

Could you imagine if she had to pick up the squish balls on the floor? The whole display. She would have still been working on it right now.

00:49:39 - 00:49:46 | Speaker 2:

I mean, they must not pay what everyone else pays because I've noticed since the pandemic they literally only have one person working and you feel so bad for that person

00:49:46 - 00:49:57 | Speaker 3:

like i mean we're laughing but i really did feel bad for her because everybody's impatient in the line and yeah and she's doing the best she can yeah yeah very slow i'm gonna go i'm gonna go on

00:49:57 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 1:

i'm gonna go on record and i'm gonna say

00:50:00 - 00:50:38 | Speaker 3:

that that store is one of those stores where it's like that and then the other one is have you been to a like a staples or an office depots or any of those places at all in any time recently so i had to go there because i wanted i i was i'm very specific for those that don't know this you may see it in the videos i have a new sharpie that i use pretty much every week i use i use a sharpie to death okay to the point that i go so i i like sharpies so i was contemplating do i just order on amazon or i drive by a staple store every single day on my way to and from work i'm like you know what i haven't been in a while and i used to love going there for office or for uh back to

00:50:38 - 00:50:49 | Speaker 4:

school stuff and let's be honest they employ our neighbors so we're i could rather go in a store than buy on amazon well i don't know these people are my neighbors but let me tell you the people

00:50:49 - 00:51:13 | Speaker 3:

that work at that store are also interesting too there's it's just an interesting thing i and i'm I don't know. I'm going to throw this out there. I'm going to ask you this question. What store has the most interesting people working there? And then tell us about what they're like. Because there are certain stores that you go into. Like Michael's, you're right. The old lady sloth that's there, you know, working.

00:51:13 - 00:51:29 | Speaker 5:

Slow as hell. So, you know, I'm going to give a shout out to my favorite employees. Trader Joe's. Oh, my gosh. Make you feel like you're beautiful. Make you feel like you're buying the best. What aisle did you get this in? This must have just been put out today. Oh, good choice.

00:51:29 - 00:51:29 | Speaker 3:

They faked the funk very well.

00:51:29 - 00:51:35 | Speaker 5:

Good. I don't think it's fake. I think it is genuine joy. Do you need help bringing this out to your crew? Can we do this?

00:51:35 - 00:51:41 | Speaker 3:

Can we ask the Trader Joe's people to get a part-time gig at Michael's? Just to kind of change it up a little bit.

00:51:41 - 00:51:48 | Speaker 4:

Because it's the culture Trader Joe's. They take care of their staff, and they seek out those people so that it adds to the experience.

00:51:48 - 00:51:57 | Speaker 5:

They gave me a bouquet of flowers for free one day because the guy just said, I looked like I needed some flowers to brighten my day. Can I say this then? Who are you?

00:51:57 - 00:52:20 | Speaker 3:

Then can I say that maybe Trader Joe's needs to have like, I don't know, Craftsy stuff in the back of the store. Do some other stuff. But it is wild. And then the Apple store is an interesting one. I'll give you, because we're doing positives, the Apple store is another one of those stores. Greatest people. They must pay those guys a million dollars a year because those people all seem like they're really happy and everything's good. But let's focus on the bads.

00:52:20 - 00:52:21 | Speaker 5:

Okay, all right. Let's go on the bad.

00:52:21 - 00:52:49 | Speaker 3:

Oh, and also, you cannot tell the difference between the people that work in the dispensary or the people that work at, what's the t-shirt shop in the mall, Hot Topic? Hot Topic. That's a great one. Hot Topic and dispensary. As a matter of fact, I think they almost kind of work together. It's like I'm annoying you. I just want a Nirvana t-shirt. Stop being so angry that I'm there. What's going on, Sarah? How are you?

00:52:49 - 00:53:31 | Speaker 2:

hey hey guys um by the way i listen to you guys like every morning and i love you guys so much we love you too i love you guys i'll see you at the jingle ball too yes i'll see you um so something i want to comment about i used to work at a kroger and you know when you're at self-checkout you just want to go in there buy your stuff and leave well there's this lady who i used to work with and she always checks out like what i'm buying it's like i just want to buy myself and leave like i don't want to talk to anybody while i'm there but she's like oh you're buying this stuff it's like i get it i am i want to leave i get it sometimes in self-checkout i go there

00:53:31 - 00:54:33 | Speaker 3:

because i don't want to talk to anybody but they're nice if anything gets rung up wrong they're right there to reset the whole system yeah like if i stand like wine or anything they're like right there i'm like thank you yeah i will say that i will say this that uh and i listen i i don't speak uh poorly at all about kroger because i love him i put my voice to their announcements and stuff like that they have had some of the best people working at the one by me the union like one they have it's unbelievable lately i don't know if they just did a rehiring or something like that yeah but i had i was having the hardest time finding things because I wait until the last minute to go do the Thanksgiving chopping. And it's unbelievable what this one... And this kid was like a... I'm telling you, he was no older than like 17 years old. This kid he found... I had to describe to him the onions that you put on a green bean casserole, what they look like. This kid was like running up and down every single aisle and got it for me. What's up, Tony?

00:54:34 - 00:54:35 | Speaker 1:

Hey, good morning.

00:54:35 - 00:54:37 | Speaker 3:

Love y'all. Oh, we love you too. What's going

00:54:37 - 00:54:57 | Speaker 1:

on tony all right so i would say home people they're the greatest because it's like if you need electrical work they got electricians and no paint work it's like they have professions actually done the stuff and me actually been a employee very long time going to high school they have like classes called pk where they actually teach you only problem work there

00:54:57 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 3:

don't know anything i got a problem though tony they make

00:55:00 - 00:55:29 | Speaker 5:

me feel inferior, though, when I do ask a question sometimes. Sometimes I get the eye rolls from those guys. Yeah, sometimes. I feel like Lowe's gives less of an eye roll. Because it's more of a bougie Home Depot, right? Okay, what about Menards? Menards is elite. First off, Menards, I get lost in the place. It's so big. You can go in, if you wanted to, you could go into Menards in every season you can actually live in if you want to. It's crazy. Have you looked at their Christmas stuff?

00:55:29 - 00:55:30 | Speaker 4:

I've never been in a Menards.

00:55:30 - 00:55:31 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. I need to go.

00:55:32 - 00:55:36 | Speaker 4:

Okay, but I'm scared for myself because I know me. I would need two cars.

00:55:37 - 00:55:59 | Speaker 5:

And they always have, like, a nice little old lady at the Menards by my house that works up in the front that's always so sweet just greeting you. Yeah. Yeah, that story. Oh, yeah. That story. Mike, when you go into Menards, do you ever go in there and you don't remember what you were trying to buy because you get so caught off guard by the end caps? Yes. Yeah, I was supposed to get a toilet seat but ended up with eight different projects that I'm still working on.

00:55:59 - 00:56:35 | Speaker 3:

uh jordan who are you calling out hey i am calling out dollar general um i don't know how it is in different cities but apparently my city they are all um very interesting employees and my husband is not from around here and he never knew why i didn't want to go to dollar general i needed like something quick and he finally went to one by me i live in muskegon and he realized very quickly why i never want to go there they are sweet people but very very interesting well they got

00:56:35 - 00:56:41 | Speaker 5:

to deal with some interesting people too i'm sure i'm sure that's fair as well but i did go to a

00:56:41 - 00:56:45 | Speaker 3:

really nice one that in muskegon i was like oh this is what a normal dollar general should be

00:56:45 - 00:56:57 | Speaker 5:

like yeah so uh i think going to any store in muskegon you might have a run in there too but that's okay they're nice people so fair enough thank you uh james are you there yeah mojo

00:56:57 - 00:57:21 | Speaker 2:

so um this past summer i was in florida and uh we went to walmart and we were walking out i had two bag chairs in my cart and the walmart police as i call them the walmart greeter he says i need to see your receipt i'm like i have two bag chairs mind you there was two people with carts full of stuff walking out they didn't check their receipts i'm like seriously so i made a big old thing i

00:57:21 - 00:57:27 | Speaker 5:

ended up getting kicked out of walmart in florida really that's why walmart's the best by the way You are the reason Walmart's the greatest.

00:57:28 - 00:57:33 | Speaker 6:

Plus Florida, too. Oh, yeah. You're adding a Florida man to the people of Walmart. That's math you don't want to mess with.

00:57:34 - 00:57:58 | Speaker 5:

The other one, too, I just want to throw this one out there. There's a Chipotle by my house that I will not go to. I drive an extra two miles to go to the other one. The Chipotle on West and West Bloomfield on Orchard Lake Road is a mess. I have no idea what the story is there, but it's like a freaking disaster. But I'll go to the one on Telegraph, and everything is great. I don't understand it. It's like two miles away from each other.

00:57:58 - 00:57:59 | Speaker 6:

Sometimes it's management, how they handle each store.

00:57:59 - 00:58:00 | Speaker 4:

And just different culture in the store.

00:58:01 - 00:58:11 | Speaker 6:

There's a store in Somerset called Aritzia, which is a woman's clothing store. Oh, my gosh. They had an army of women working in that store. We were in there. It's locally owned, isn't it?

00:58:11 - 00:58:19 | Speaker 4:

It is not locally owned. It's a Canadian company, but that is, I think, the only Michigan location. So people come from everywhere to go there.

00:58:19 - 00:58:23 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my gosh. I can't believe how awesome this staff was. And they had so many people.

00:58:23 - 00:58:25 | Speaker 4:

And they have a coffee shop inside the store.

00:58:25 - 00:58:38 | Speaker 6:

That's where I sat and smelled all the coffee because I didn't want to look at women's clothes. But then you go right down the street. I was in Dunham's, and I couldn't find an employee. I'm like, hello, hello, hello, anyone, anyone. I'm like, well, I guess maybe I should stock the shelves while I'm here.

00:58:38 - 00:58:47 | Speaker 5:

All right, so here's the deal. We're going to do some new staffing here on the Mojo in the Morning Show, and we're just going to hire nothing but Chick-fil-A and Target workers. Can you imagine?

00:58:47 - 00:58:48 | Speaker 4:

And Trader Joe's.

00:58:48 - 00:58:57 | Speaker 5:

And Trader Joe's. And the Trader Joe's people telling everybody how beautiful you are. You are so beautiful. I didn't know that. I've got to be honest with you, my self-esteem has been down a little bit lately.

00:58:57 - 00:58:59 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to go to Trader Joe's.

00:58:59 - 00:59:00 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to Trader Joe's.

00:59:00 - 00:59:03 | Speaker 3:

Hello. Darling at random.

00:59:04 - 00:59:08 | Speaker 2:

Spike does another SISLA survey at 7.50. You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

00:59:09 - 00:59:11 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:59:11 - 00:59:14 | Speaker 5:

All right, Shannon with what's trending this hour in the Dirty on the 30.

00:59:14 - 00:59:31 | Speaker 4:

Oof, it was brutal. Chrisley knows best stars, Todd. And Julie Chrisley are going to have to get comfy in prison. Yesterday, they were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion with the judge handing over some pretty hefty sentences.

00:59:31 - 00:59:53 | Speaker 1:

During her ruling, the judge told the Chrisleys that they never admitted guilt or showed any remorse. This is how the sentences break down. Todd Chrisley, who was found guilty on tax evasion and bank fraud charges this summer, was sentenced to 12 years in prison. The judge sentenced Julie Chrisley to seven years in federal prison.

00:59:54 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, they've been on house arrest in their Nashville home as they've been awaiting sentence.

01:00:00 - 01:00:36 | Speaker 3:

And this mess goes back to 2019 when they were indicted, like you just heard, with prosecutors claiming the couple defrauded banks by getting millions and millions of dollars in loans based on false financial documents. The U.S. Attorney's Office also said that Todd and Julie Chrisley cheated the government by not paying their federal income taxes. So in the wake of this, their three reality shows have been canceled. So No More Chrisley Knows Best, which was on for nine seasons. You can see repeats on Peacock. Growing up, Chrisley and the dating show That Todd was set to host Called Love Limo And all their families all

01:00:36 - 01:00:52 | Speaker 5:

Kaput No jobs for any of them They live such a lavish lifestyle That Todd Chrisley would fly to LA Twice a month To go get a haircut from Atlanta Come on There's nobody that could actually cut your hair

01:00:52 - 01:00:53 | Speaker 3:

They are not going to survive in prison

01:00:53 - 01:00:57 | Speaker 5:

I don't know, it's going to be tough Although they get to go to a nice prison probably

01:00:57 - 01:01:24 | Speaker 3:

Right. Fancy. Yeah. Yeah. Like the Martha Stewart of prisons. Yes. The other one that she went to. OK. Jay Leno was discharged from the hospital yesterday. Yeah. There there's a photo and you can see his scars near his jawline and his neck. But he looked very happy and healthy as he posed for a photo with the staff from that burn center after recovering for the past 10 days. Doctors say he will make a full recovery. His buddy Tim Allen was hanging out with Jimmy Fallon last night giving an update.

01:01:24 - 01:01:39 | Speaker 4:

They get interviewed and they said he looks terrible. I said, well, he generally didn't look that good to begin with. He looks really good considering the graphs he's got. The picture today, it is amazing what they can do. The hospital did a great job. We hope speed of recovery, Jay. We love you, bud.

01:01:39 - 01:01:52 | Speaker 3:

Some controversies surrounding the World Cup that's happening right now in Qatar or Qatar, whichever pronunciation you want. But both are right. Yesterday I said Qatar and people were like, Shannon, you're saying it wrong.

01:01:52 - 01:01:57 | Speaker 5:

No, I always thought it was Qatar, and then people changed their pronunciation to Cutter.

01:01:57 - 01:03:11 | Speaker 3:

Yes, either is acceptable. Thank you. But plenty of controversy here from allegations of corruption and bribery during the bidding process to host the tournament to accusations that Cutter is using this event to sportswash its record. It's a very lengthy record of human rights abuses. Well, I want to focus on this one for right now. The captains of England, Wales, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany and Denmark are not wearing those one love armbands at the World Cup. And it's all because of pressure from FIFA. Their associations were saying in a joint statement yesterday, FIFA has threatened to issue yellow cards to any player wearing that multicolored one love armband, which was introduced to support diversity and inclusion. So the captains essentially said yesterday, we can't put our players in a position where they could face sporting sanctions, including bookings. So we have asked the captains not to wear the armbands. And as you can imagine, that move attracted scathing criticism from LGBTQ plus groups and the LGBTQ plus community. And a lot of people are saying, you know, this is this is completely against the spirit of that sport, which is supposed to unite millions of people.

01:03:11 - 01:03:18 | Speaker 5:

And that's the thing with the Olympics and the World Cup is you wonder why they have it in places that are like money.

01:03:19 - 01:03:28 | Speaker 2:

But they bought it. They bought it with four times the amount most nations spend on the FIFA. They spent more than their gross domestic product for their entire country in a year.

01:03:28 - 01:03:52 | Speaker 3:

And we should be mad at FIFA for allowing that. Because they're the one that just got bought out. Lots of fingers are being pointed there. And lastly, Pete Davidson is out and Dolly's in. Miley Cyrus will ring it in 2023. With Dolly Parton during NBC's annual New Year's Eve special, she broke that news on Instagram yesterday. Miley's New Year's Eve party is about getting glamorous and dressing your best.

01:03:52 - 01:03:56 | Speaker 2:

Well, we do that every day, don't we, Miley? You taught me well.

01:03:56 - 01:04:11 | Speaker 3:

01:05:09 - 01:06:04 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. It's Mojo in the Morning, Breaking and Entering Christmas. Wish, we are so blessed that we have such great listenership that will send us these letters about friends or family members or even themselves saying, hey, I need a little bit of help, and then we all kind of come together and grant wishes. We're going to start that on Monday. We're blessed also to have people that are, you know, regular listeners to the show, but also even advertisers of this radio program that say, hey, you know what? We're going to put our money where our mouth is. We give to the community and help out those. And we want to help out Breaking Night and Christmas Wish. And one of them is my good friend, Mike Porter. Mike is the general manager over at Gordon Chevrolet, and he's on the phone with us right now. Mike, how are you feeling, buddy? I'm great, Mojo. How are you? Good. First off, yesterday, Mike's son, Luke, had his wisdom teeth pulled. How is he doing today? Is he doing good?

01:06:04 - 01:06:08 | Speaker 3:

He is doing good. He looks like a chipmunk, but otherwise he's doing really well.

01:06:08 - 01:06:26 | Speaker 2:

Good. Yeah, we're thinking of him. But Mike made a donation, and he tried to slip this past and not talk about it. And I said, I'm calling you on the radio. And he's like, all right, don't call me Monday because I'm taking my son to get his wisdom teeth pulled. So I call you today. $5,000 to Breaking and Entering Christmas wish.

01:06:27 - 01:06:43 | Speaker 3:

We're happy to do it. You know what? Your Breaking and Entering touches a lot of lives, and it touches a lot of children and a lot of fathers and mothers that go through some pretty unbearable situations. We're just happy to be a part of it.

01:06:44 - 01:07:02 | Speaker 2:

Well, we appreciate you guys at Gordon Chevrolet so much. We actually have so many people that over the years that have come to us needing help, and Gordon Chevrolet has not only put their money where their mouth is, but also helped us with transportation, too, to help these people. So we appreciate that, and we're going to continue to call on you, and I love our relationship we have with you, and my family loves

01:07:06 - 01:07:18 | Speaker 2:

01:07:24 - 01:07:31 | Speaker 2:

thanks guys all right bye mojo in the morning show uh scam in just a little bit so megan

01:07:31 - 01:08:58 | Speaker 4:

it's the tattoo breakup yeah this kind of blew my mind i saw it on um tiktok and uh i couldn't believe that this girl had gone through this so she showed a video of her getting these tattoos She got some scorpions tattooed on her abdomen. They were really well done. They were, like, really cool looking. I don't think I was cool enough to get a tattoo like that, but I did that they were very interesting. And the video cuts out, and then it goes to a little bit later. And it turns out she's really upset and was like, what happened? Those look great. And her boyfriend told her that she had absolutely ruined and mutilated her body and broke up with her over the tattoos. Oh, God. Come on. I know. Douche alert, right? Yeah. Can I say that this early in the morning? I did. Total, total douche alert because I couldn't believe, like, if you love a person, why would you break up with them over a tattoo? Bodies are going to change. Bodies are, like, no matter who you love right now, in 10 years, their bodies are going to look different. In 20 years, whatever. But then it got me thinking, how many people have been broken up with over tattoos? Or haircuts. Haircuts. Yeah, haircuts. Kellers, gold, piercings, whatever it was, just like weight gain or loss. Yes, I don't understand because if you love a person, they're not going to look the same in the future. That's like the list of the priorities.

01:08:59 - 01:09:15 | Speaker 1:

And you want to be supportive of them expressing themselves how they want. Obviously, if they ask for your opinion, you can give your opinion. But once someone decides to make a change about their appearance, you support that and And you understand it's not your possession. It's your spouse.

01:09:16 - 01:09:31 | Speaker 2:

Has a tattoo ever caused a fight, though, in a relationship? Because in our relationship, a tattoo did cause a fight. Chelsea and I got in a fight when she got her first tattoo. You did? She told me after the fact. Well, no, I didn't know she was going to get a tattoo when she was getting a tattoo.

01:09:32 - 01:09:33 | Speaker 1:

Oh, the fact that she didn't even tell you about it.

01:09:33 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Well, I knew she was contemplating it, but I didn't know that she was going to do it. And she did it on a trip. But she went back to visit her family in Arizona. Next thing I know, she got a tattoo. But I will say this, that I'm not a tattoo person. And I think my opinion of tattoos has changed over time. Not that I would, I think, ever get a tattoo, because there's nothing that I love that much in my life to get a tattoo for.

01:10:00 - 01:10:06 | Speaker 5:

No, it sounds bad. Hold on a second. We have a family or something like that. You're just not a tattoo person. You can have left it there. I'm just not a tattoo person. I should probably start right there.

01:10:06 - 01:10:07 | Speaker 1:

You can walk away from it there.

01:10:07 - 01:10:28 | Speaker 5:

But I do like tattoos, but I will say this, that at the time I was very upset just because I, not that she, I own her body or anything like that, but I would run it by, you know? And in this guy, in this case, this woman, well, just because I would just at least say it. Okay, so let me ask you a question.

01:10:28 - 01:10:32 | Speaker 1:

I think that's fair to say. I would have liked the heads up. It's not like you're going to say yes or no to her.

01:10:32 - 01:10:49 | Speaker 5:

Would you go get a tattoo without even telling your girlfriend you were going to get a tattoo? Well, no, it would be a conversation, but you said she did talk about her interest in getting one. She talked about it, but didn't say when she was going to get it. I didn't even know she knew who the tattoo person was. Now, my wife is smart, so she researches much better than I do, and she knew somebody.

01:10:49 - 01:10:53 | Speaker 6:

Am I the only one who's like, I wouldn't even tell somebody? Like, it doesn't matter?

01:10:54 - 01:10:59 | Speaker 4:

I'm kind of with you on that. I don't know that I would need to get, unless it's on my face. I wouldn't need to get, like, an approval from Ally.

01:10:59 - 01:11:03 | Speaker 1:

It's not approval or permission. It feels like it. No.

01:11:03 - 01:11:04 | Speaker 3:

It does feel like it.

01:11:04 - 01:11:10 | Speaker 5:

Mike, what would you do if Ally just today went out and got a tattoo and came home with it? I would love it. I would think it was a second.

01:11:11 - 01:11:12 | Speaker 4:

Again, unless it's not like her face.

01:11:12 - 01:11:13 | Speaker 5:

What if it was on her face?

01:11:13 - 01:11:21 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, no, then that's a conversation. Because that changes a lot. I mean, it doesn't change how I feel or anything, but that changes her entire face.

01:11:21 - 01:11:25 | Speaker 5:

What if it was on her arm, her forearm?

01:11:26 - 01:11:32 | Speaker 4:

Other than that, I don't care. I wouldn't care even if she did her face, but I think we should at least talk about it. Why do you own her face? I don't own her face.

01:11:32 - 01:11:35 | Speaker 1:

I just think it's nice to give your partner like a, hey, I'm thinking about doing this. Yeah.

01:11:35 - 01:11:42 | Speaker 3:

And then go do it. He knew she was interested in getting one. He just didn't know that that was the exact appointment weekend or whatever.

01:11:42 - 01:12:04 | Speaker 5:

I would never break up with anybody over a tattoo. That's ridiculous. I think that's stupid. And actually, to be honest with you, half the TikToks that I watch where stuff like this happens, I think it's BS. I think they have to send us their phone numbers so that we have to prove that they actually did get broken up on and they just didn't try to get a bunch of likes on TikTok. Somebody left you over a tattoo, Sue?

01:12:06 - 01:12:50 | Speaker 6:

Well, I ended up leaving him. So I was planning for a couple years to get a tattoo. I was with my ex-husband, now ex-husband at the time, and I planned it for a couple years. He was all on board. He was perfectly fine with it. fast forward to the day i actually get it i come home after getting it he's gone he left he took my kids um and wouldn't come home wouldn't talk to me told me i was a horrible person he couldn't believe i actually did it said that no one is going to be able to stand being with me now that i have a tattoo um ends up coming home and then our marriage kind of went down from there and i ended up leaving him that's that sounds like scary controlling to me yeah that there's a very big

01:12:50 - 01:12:54 | Speaker 5:

difference there big time what was going on before the tattoo though because the tattoo couldn't have

01:12:54 - 01:13:01 | Speaker 6:

couldn't have been i think it was just i think it was just the kickoff yeah yeah um because whenever

01:13:01 - 01:13:18 | Speaker 5:

i because whenever i hear these when i hear these stories i'm thinking to myself okay communication obviously not very good in the relationship but this is obviously full-on abuse right uh what's up john hello hi how's it going good john what's going on what are you

01:13:18 - 01:14:29 | Speaker 2:

calling for i'm in a somewhat of a similar situation uh i'm i i find tattoos um as an art form you know very you know you can see them and you know you know the the hard work that went into them but i've been with my now wife we've been together over 18 years and she had two when we started dating um and i was okay with them but as i've grown and know what i like and don't like very open with that um and yet tattoos just on on the woman that i i love not a big fan um and we actually you know uh more recently this this summer have have had discussions about well i want to i want a new one for a friend's tattoo i i i love you uh i grew up in i guess a different different culture different you know upbringing where you know

01:14:29 - 01:14:46 | Speaker 5:

john can i ask you a question are you nervous talking about this because it's an issue in your relationship because you sound very you sound very nervous so question for you would you leave your wife over a tattoo um oh boy if

01:14:46 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 2:

if if there was no discussion no heads up it just i went and did it um because you know there's there's been other things in

01:15:00 - 01:15:08 | Speaker 6:

the past where uh selfishness and inconsideration have so this is a this is more than the tattoo

01:15:08 - 01:15:17 | Speaker 2:

this is a big this is a big issue here but you have to own your own personal uh beliefs you can't

01:15:17 - 01:15:26 | Speaker 7:

you can't blame it on like well i grew up in a culture a lot of people use that as a cop-out you have to own your own opinion and your own stubbornness if there's something that's in

01:15:26 - 01:15:39 | Speaker 6:

your relationship that's getting between the two of you yeah no i i don't disagree and i totally own the fact that i as an art form yes and other people i you know what makes it different between

01:15:39 - 01:15:50 | Speaker 7:

other people and your own wife uh expressing herself um when i mean it's it's you know you're

01:15:50 - 01:16:02 | Speaker 6:

You enter in a partnership and there are things that, you know, that I find attractive or find, you know, that I want that, you know, she doesn't.

01:16:03 - 01:16:10 | Speaker 3:

To me, though, that doesn't sound like a partnership. It sounds like you're controlling the way that she presents her body. And that's not partnership to me.

01:16:11 - 01:16:29 | Speaker 1:

I think this, John, I think that if you have a discussion and you talk about it and she says, I'm still going to get it, I think you have to let her have her freedom to be able to go get her own tattoo, but at least you have the discussion. It sounds to me like you're on the verge of controlling. If you're saying that, well,

01:16:29 - 01:16:44 | Speaker 7:

because you already know what the discussion's going to be. You're not, there's only one answer for you. You're not going to, it sounds like you're not going to accept her ever being able to get a tattoo. So what's the point of her having the discussion? If the, you guys have talked about it and you've expressed your belief in it.

01:16:44 - 01:17:12 | Speaker 6:

and that i guess at one point is you know because and and and i don't disagree i i mean everybody is is allowed to have their own opinion and have have the ability to say this is what i want and choose out of life on the flip side yeah if somebody disagrees with that they're they're being considered controlling which she does do it she doesn't do it you know

01:17:13 - 01:17:29 | Speaker 1:

Well, I think there's a difference between disagreeing and controlling. Controlling is, no, you can't do it. I'll leave you if you do it. Disagreeing is, you know what, I'm not happy with this. I don't like this. Can you rethink that? But, John, thank you for the call, man. I appreciate it. I wish you well.

01:17:30 - 01:17:31 | Unknown:

Thanks.

01:17:31 - 01:17:34 | Speaker 1:

All right, take care of yourself. Tammy, what's going on?

01:17:36 - 01:17:36 | Speaker 5:

Hello.

01:17:37 - 01:17:37 | Speaker 1:

Hi.

01:17:38 - 01:17:40 | Speaker 5:

How are you? Good morning, everybody. Good morning.

01:17:40 - 01:17:41 | Speaker 1:

What's going on?

01:17:41 - 01:18:20 | Speaker 5:

so this was an issue but we resolved it but uh my husband did come home with a tattoo and it was one of those things like hey i'm gonna be late for work he comes home and i'm like you know you take your jacket off or the bandage i'm like what is that so i will say that in the beginning i was not happy with it and i thought to myself you know as a partner we've been married for a long time i think i would have just appreciated the heads up he had always talked about getting one i wish he would have said you know what i'm thinking about doing this what do you think because at the end yes it is his body but i married to him and you know part of what did he get and where did he get it so it's just an armband you know so nothing major but it was just

01:18:20 - 01:18:29 | Speaker 7:

one of those things still big though that's yeah you're more in the in the basket of how mojo was he was just kind of shocked it happened that weekend you're not in the controlling basket of

01:18:29 - 01:18:47 | Speaker 5:

that last caller i just i guess i guess if you really you know because he ended up going through with it i just felt like i would have loved to have put in my input if that's what he really wanted to do you know and that's fine you know he did what he did but it's just i think after the fact he was like yeah i probably should have let you know i probably should have gave you a heads

01:18:47 - 01:18:58 | Speaker 1:

up but he kind of regretted that part of it yeah what what about this one here what about natalie's he told her no to the tattoo but because of what they had going on what was that

01:18:58 - 01:19:11 | Speaker 4:

hey mojo yeah we had a wedding in july and my fiance's always been really open to tattoos but he wanted me to wait until after our wedding to get it.

01:19:12 - 01:19:13 | Speaker 1:

He didn't want it in the pictures?

01:19:14 - 01:19:20 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and his family's a little more conservative, but mostly he didn't want it in the pictures and everything.

01:19:20 - 01:19:27 | Speaker 2:

I think that that's a fair discussion, but the decision is ultimately up to you. But it's nice that you guys talked about it. I mean, did you end up getting it or not?

01:19:27 - 01:19:27 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, did you?

01:19:28 - 01:19:34 | Speaker 4:

So my tattoo artist that I go to actually opened his books last month and I am scheduled to get it now.

01:19:34 - 01:19:41 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I was going to say, you needed to go like the day afterwards so everybody thought that you're going through a crisis. You know what I mean?

01:19:42 - 01:19:44 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I was too busy in Cancun.

01:19:44 - 01:19:49 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that would have been good. Oh, I hate you. Well, thank you for the call. I appreciate it.

01:19:50 - 01:19:50 | Speaker 4:

Thanks.

01:19:51 - 01:19:57 | Speaker 1:

All right. Mojo on the Morning Show. We're going to do a senseless survey. It's Mojo on the Morning Show.

01:19:57 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 5:

You guys, you guys, you guys, great news.

01:20:00 - 01:20:05 | Speaker 2:

an official government survey. And when we mean official, we mean we're officially full of s**t.

01:20:05 - 01:20:09 | Speaker 3:

This country is going to s**t. You got it on Mojo.

01:20:09 - 01:20:11 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the Morning's senseless survey.

01:20:14 - 01:20:27 | Speaker 1:

Hello. Hello, sir. This is Bob Dabalina-Cohen. We're just asking a few American citizens some consumer questions about Thanksgiving and also remind you to pay your homeowner's insurance premium before you try deep frying that turkey in the garage. Do you have a second for some questions?

01:20:27 - 01:20:33 | Speaker 3:

uh i'm supposed to be on the do not call list yep we're not selling anything so you don't have to

01:20:33 - 01:20:57 | Speaker 1:

worry about that it's just a government survey uh and if you answer the three questions then we'll actually be giving you something in return as a thank you okay make it quick will you be skipping dessert in any quality time to actually participate in any doorbuster sales or are you on american uh no would you agree that the best thing about thanksgiving is that all the people who drive you most crazy are all in one room together.

01:20:58 - 01:21:00 | Speaker 3:

You're saying this is a government survey?

01:21:01 - 01:21:19 | Speaker 1:

Well, we're just trying to get an eye on what consumers are doing this holiday season. Just one more. If you didn't see a racist uncle at your Thanksgiving, does that mean you were the racist uncle? No. And what's the probability that you'll be having pumpkin pie for breakfast in your underwear standing over the kitchen sink on Friday morning?

01:21:20 - 01:21:22 | Speaker 3:

Probably about 99% chance.

01:21:22 - 01:21:27 | Speaker 1:

Do you think we should just serve cranberry sauce in a trash can, since that's where it's going to end up anyway?

01:21:28 - 01:21:31 | Speaker 3:

You said three questions, my friend.

01:21:31 - 01:21:47 | Speaker 1:

Okay, well, let me just get the last one through, because I forgot about this one. Do you think it's BS we're supposed to be thankful for this big turkey feast when they had T-bone steak at the same grocery store? No. Have you ever tried the sexy move in the bedroom known as pardoning the turkey?

01:21:48 - 01:21:50 | Speaker 3:

I think we're all done here.

01:21:50 - 01:21:54 | Speaker 1:

Great. And is Thanksgiving your favorite holiday to shove stale bread up a dead bird's a**hole?

01:21:54 - 01:21:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Jesus.

01:21:58 - 01:22:04 | Speaker 4:

01:22:19 - 01:22:54 | Speaker 4:

for Mojo, Mike Shannon, for Mojo in the morning. Good morning. It's Mojo in the morning, Joe. Happy early Thanksgiving as you're probably, if you are working today, probably not working a full day. I know a lot of people are taking, like, a lot of time off for Thanksgiving. It's wild. I had no idea, and I think this has only been, like, probably in the last few years since we've been dealing with COVID. But I feel like this week has become like a full week off for people. Have you noticed that at all? Like a lot of the schools.

01:22:54 - 01:22:56 | Speaker 1:

People saving their days and doing a full week at Thanksgiving.

01:22:56 - 01:23:06 | Speaker 4:

I used to have to go all the way until the end of the day on Wednesday. And then we would go out and drink like we were not going to wake up on Thanksgiving.

01:23:06 - 01:23:15 | Speaker 1:

Well, and then those who do choose to work this week, minus retail, obviously, they get kind of a break because none of your associates or customers seem to be dealing with you because they're all on vacation.

01:23:15 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 4:

They say that today and tomorrow will be the two busiest travel days that we've had in the last three years. The airports look crazy. The rush is on right now. We were talking about how Metro Airport's already got a big rush of people heading out there. And then the roads, obviously, will be crazy, too. Happy Thanksgiving. Be safe. Thank you guys so much for listening. It's Mojo in the Morning. Carry us with you wherever you go. You can take us on the iHeartRadio app and listen to us on 104.5 SNX, 92.5 KISS FM, and, of course, Channel 955. Our break-and-entering Christmas wish is going to be kicking off next week. Matter of fact, Monday will be our first wish of the year, and then we'll grant wishes then for the three to four weeks leading up until Christmas. So get your wishes in at mojoswish.org. We have a very good friend in studio with us, everybody in Detroit, Toledo, and Grand Rapids. This guy has been like Santa Claus to us with Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish over the years and has helped us out in such a huge way. He and also his partnerships with all the other Planet Fitness people. Brian Reif is in with us from Planet Fitness. Give it up for Brian. Planet Fitness. Thank you. By the way, let me tell you that COVID was crazy for you guys, but it actually did some good things because you guys got an opportunity to fix up locations. You've got an opportunity to move some locations. Things are good right now. People are back in the clubs. I was mentioning this earlier this morning. I feel like yesterday and today, people are going to be working out like crazy so that they can eat their faces off on Thursday. On both sides. And after Thanksgiving. Yes. On Saturday and Sunday. No, I'm sorry. But the Friday.

01:25:00 - 01:25:02 | Speaker 2:

Saturday and Sunday is just to get out of the house and get away from the family.

01:25:03 - 01:25:04 | Speaker 3:

Probably.

01:25:05 - 01:25:35 | Speaker 2:

That's not to say, say, I can't believe I ate that much. That is basically, I'm tired of hanging out with you guys. I'm getting out of here. Brian brought in, this is crazy because we just saw what his check was. And in the middle of the, him giving us a check, all of a sudden the money went up. Like it was, I felt like I was doing the MDA Jerry Lewis telethon or something like that because the money donation came up. Brian, and everybody at Planet Fitness just donated to Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish $7,000.

01:25:36 - 01:25:38 | Speaker 4:

Thank you so much.

01:25:38 - 01:26:02 | Speaker 3:

I feel like it's the least we can do. We're so grateful for the partnership with you guys and everything that you guys do. And so this time of year, this is something that we actually look forward to now as an annual tradition. Really thankful. At a time when people really need it. Gas prices, inflation. I mean, people are getting hard hit. So I know that this is wonderful what you guys do with breaking and entering.

01:26:02 - 01:26:15 | Speaker 4:

The beautiful thing about breaking and entering, too, is you're donating that money so generously to us, and you get to see and hear the families that it's going to, which is very, very cool.

01:26:15 - 01:26:38 | Speaker 2:

It's really heartfelt. My favorite is I'm going to make Brian. Brian is a softie, for those that don't realize this. He's seriously, to me, one of the nicest human beings in the world. But he'll send me his crying text messages after a wish is granted on the air, telling me that he's not able to even drive because he's got tears in his eyes. And I go, Brian, toughen up, for God's sake. You own gyms for a living, my friend.

01:26:38 - 01:27:04 | Speaker 1:

But the charity of Planet Fitness extends all throughout the year. I mean, every time any of us will go to visit or maybe host a grand opening of a new location or a remodel grand reopening, they always use it as an opportunity to give back to the community. And there's never an opening party without another big check presentation that Brian will do for Big Brothers Big Sisters or any organization in the neighborhood that actually needs the help at the time.

01:27:05 - 01:27:11 | Speaker 2:

Brian, you mentioned inflation. How are you guys still $10 for a membership? Explain that to me.

01:27:12 - 01:27:52 | Speaker 3:

We're still $10 a month. It drives the ability, obviously, to make belonging to a gym affordable. So our Black Card membership is $24.99, which comes with some additional benefits. But that $10 price point is something that has been around for almost three decades. And it's one of those things that is an asset to Planet Fitness. And the CEO recently reiterated that we're not moving off of the $10 a month membership because we want to make belonging to a gym and fitness affordable for everybody.

01:27:52 - 01:28:11 | Speaker 2:

Well, and I think that it is more important than ever that we've learned, right, that that be the case. But also, I think you guys learned a few things during the pandemic about what people were looking for. And I think that they learned that being a member of Planet Fitness, you're not scrunched into a little place. You got a big, you know, beautiful location.

01:28:12 - 01:28:28 | Speaker 4:

And you know what I love about you guys is you get the time crunch. So the 30-minute circuit, even for people who only have 30 minutes, you don't know what the heck you're doing when you go in a gym. It's super intimidating. There's this one little section of the gym where it tells you step-by-step exactly what you need to do. There's red light, green light for when you need to move on. It's beautiful. 30 minutes.

01:28:29 - 01:28:35 | Speaker 2:

Brian, thank you guys so much. Thanks to everybody. And who else do we have to thank for the Planet Fitness?

01:28:35 - 01:28:41 | Speaker 3:

Our fellow franchisee, Impact Fitness, as well. Thank you, guys. They own those clubs here in Metro Detroit as well. We love it. So they have great partners.

01:28:41 - 01:28:50 | Speaker 2:

Do you have a favorite, by the way, out of any of your locations? Is downtown Grand Rapids one of your favorites? Because I know that's a beautiful one. What's your favorite location?

01:28:50 - 01:29:13 | Speaker 3:

that's that's like asking me who my favorite kid is well mojo has a favorite i have a favorite come on i know you got on that too come on um i do i i like the new club uh at the detroit pistons uh performance center beautiful it's it's just it's um it's it's a unusual layout for us and it's our first official downtown location i was gonna say and most importantly i think

01:29:13 - 01:29:18 | Speaker 1:

sometimes people think that's a pistons workout no the public can go in there and work out actually

01:29:18 - 01:29:27 | Speaker 2:

it's funny a lot of uh luke's friends who go to wayne state that that's their that's where they go so a lot of them will go over there so and likewise the downtown grand rapids club is it's

01:29:27 - 01:29:32 | Speaker 3:

beautiful yeah it's uh it's an it's impressive and i'm glad we were able to find that location

01:29:32 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 2:

thank you for coming in guys appreciate all of you guys from planet fitness appreciate everything that you do for us um you do amazing things with the you know memberships as low as ten dollars a month but the other beauty is that you know you don't sit there and make people sign long-term contract. I will never forget. Do you mind if I call out your competitor? Can I call your competitor? I never forget the one and only time that I ever had a membership at Lifetime Fitness and they would not let me cancel the membership.

01:30:00 - 01:30:02 | Speaker 1:

Oh my gosh, he bitched in here for months

01:30:02 - 01:30:23 | Speaker 2:

I will tell you, I don't even know if they advertise If they do, they're going to stop probably today But I will never forget that Every time, it was like the hardest process And honestly, the thing was You were talking about the $24.99 The membership for the Black Card membership I was paying like $100 plus a month To go get a smoothie Seriously, it was like ridiculous

01:30:23 - 01:30:26 | Speaker 1:

And he was going to come in here and fake his own death Just to get the subscription

01:30:26 - 01:30:56 | Speaker 2:

You wouldn't believe it, I had to bring like doctor's notes and stuff like that so thank you we really appreciate everything that you do and and and your listeners as well so thank you brian happy thanksgiving brian reef happy thanksgiving to you and your beautiful family tell laura we say hi and everybody over uh at all the planet fitness locations we'll do all right it's mojo in the morning show so mike yesterday you and ali had to do your wellness check right yes yeah yep and your wife freaked out because of something that

01:30:56 - 01:31:35 | Speaker 3:

was said during this so you know when you're sitting and you're like giving all your information your insurance information and address and you're just clarifying everything yeah well at one point they hit my they hit they're like so do you uh we see in here you don't have a job would you like to to update that are you still looking and without hesitation i was just being a smart ass i was like nah i think i'm just gonna hold off right now i'm still looking and my wife's face went from like like thought it was funny but i didn't i didn't smile i didn't smirk i just said it it just came out naturally and she looked over at me and she goes what are you talking about oh no i'm just joking yes yeah i have a job i have because i had to imagine what was going through her head was like

01:31:35 - 01:31:40 | Speaker 1:

what do you do every day like what do you get up and do every single day plus we don't joke about

01:31:40 - 01:31:52 | Speaker 2:

that mike we're in radio we might not have a job has has anybody ever had that happen though where their spouse didn't know that they didn't have a job like they lost their job like anybody ever kept that secret.

01:31:53 - 01:31:54 | Speaker 1:

Oh, and then how did you find out?

01:31:55 - 01:32:06 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE, yeah. Or did you find out that your spouse didn't have a job and you found out some way? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Why did it show up that you didn't have a job? Do they not consider this to be an occupation?

01:32:07 - 01:32:10 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. I genuinely don't know. They just never filled it out, I guess, on their paperwork.

01:32:11 - 01:32:17 | Speaker 3:

Well, because you know what I used to do? That was my first physical physical in a long time. I usually go to get the biometric screening.

01:32:17 - 01:32:18 | Speaker 1:

Same, yeah.

01:32:18 - 01:32:22 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's the first time. So that could be it. I don't know. Which happens at the office when they do that.

01:32:22 - 01:32:50 | Speaker 2:

Whenever they ask me on forms what my occupation is, I never know what to write it down as. Because I'm not one of those people that goes, radio personality or whatever that stuff is like that. And they never have like a box or anything like that. Like if they were going to check, I would check I'm in marketing or something like that. Like I would do something like that. Broadcast. But I never know what exactly to write on there. So there's been times where I'll like make up things. you know porn star

01:32:50 - 01:32:55 | Speaker 1:

no only if it's certain things

01:32:55 - 01:33:19 | Speaker 2:

like if it's you know a very attractive person there I'll put actor be like actor on there oh really entertainer but when you put entertainer guess what they think you are they think you are a porn star entrepreneur if I knew how to spell it I would put that on there 844 Mojo Live What's up, Sarah?

01:33:21 - 01:33:57 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, so I actually found out that my husband didn't have a job for almost a year. He'd been lying and saying he was going to work, and every day when I'd ask him, oh, how was work, he'd make up something. But I found out finally because one day his car was repossessed, and I thought it had been stolen, so I called the police, and they're like, oh, no, it was repossessed. And I couldn't believe it. I was like, what? So I hung up and I was like, what is going on? So he had not been going to work for like a year. He'd been lying to me about it.

01:33:58 - 01:33:58 | Speaker 1:

Wow.

01:33:58 - 01:34:09 | Speaker 5:

He lost his car. Our house had been foreclosed on and he didn't tell me. And he got arrested for not paying child support. Oh, my gosh.

01:34:10 - 01:34:14 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. Where did he say he was going all that time that he said he was going to work for a year?

01:34:14 - 01:34:26 | Speaker 5:

i mean he said he was going to the office he'd like he would leave for the day and he would come back at the end of the day and um like i found out he'd been just going to strip clubs

01:34:26 - 01:34:32 | Speaker 2:

and bars oh my god oh geez yeah spending money and not making money that's crazy what's up holly

01:34:32 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 4:

you had the same thing happen my situation is my ex-husband basically we were trying to move to a different state and when we moved we were supposed to get an allowance for moving so instead of moving to the state where we were supposed to go we ended up not moving there i think he collected the moving fee and then i think they found out he did we

01:35:00 - 01:35:02 | Speaker 1:

He didn't move to the state where his job was.

01:35:02 - 01:35:03 | Speaker 4:

Oh, geez.

01:35:03 - 01:35:18 | Speaker 1:

And I think they fired him. And it wasn't for about a couple months that I didn't realize when he was going out of town, out of state, that he really wasn't going to work. So that kind of came out two months later.

01:35:18 - 01:35:22 | Speaker 5:

Geez. Wow. And you pick up and have to move. That's crazy.

01:35:22 - 01:35:29 | Speaker 4:

And then they're going to come back to you for that money, and it's going to be just a complicated, expanding problem.

01:35:29 - 01:35:34 | Speaker 5:

And Monica also had a husband that would get up every morning, Monica, right, and pretend that he was going to work?

01:35:35 - 01:35:54 | Speaker 2:

Well, this was actually my girlfriend. She was married to her high school sweetheart, and they had been together 8 to 10 years. And he was getting up, yes, and pretending to go to work every day. And it took her months to figure this out because of the money in the bank or not in the bank being put in the bank. Yeah, she was totally devastated.

01:35:55 - 01:35:58 | Speaker 3:

So do you know where he was going? Like, this always fascinates me.

01:35:59 - 01:36:03 | Speaker 2:

Dad, I'm not sure. He probably went to his buddy's house and hung out all day.

01:36:03 - 01:36:15 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. You know what's funny is I think about this. Like, where would I get up and go to every day? Because there's, like, I don't know. Like, if you were going to fake it, like, where would you go? You'd go anywhere.

01:36:15 - 01:36:18 | Speaker 4:

Like, I would think Starbucks, but then I can't afford the Starbucks every day.

01:36:18 - 01:36:27 | Speaker 3:

But also then people would, like, your neighbors or people, like, mutual friends would see you. Yeah. Right? And then it would get back to your wife or husband or whatever.

01:36:27 - 01:36:33 | Speaker 5:

I'd probably go like I'd walk around a Target or a mall or something

01:36:33 - 01:36:38 | Speaker 3:

No, because then you're tempted to buy stuff And you don't have money to buy stuff Eh, I don't know

01:36:38 - 01:36:43 | Speaker 5:

We'd be tough with our job, they just turn on the radio That is true Why am I thinking about this?

01:36:44 - 01:36:57 | Speaker 4:

I'd be at Lulu's, yeah, you're right I'd probably be sitting over there There's a few texts coming in, same situation as Mike Where they didn't realize their spouse was out of work For a while until they went in for a doctor's appointment And found out they didn't have insurance Oh my god

01:36:57 - 01:38:04 | Speaker 5:

Uh, yesterday was a weird day for me. So yesterday I felt like anything, and it must be that whole Mars is in Uranus or something like that, whatever the deal is. Um, but yesterday I had like technology issues. It was crazy. I drove and you know how cold it was. I drove with my window, my back window open for a while. And I'm like, this car's not getting any warmer. And I couldn't figure out cause I couldn't hear like the, the wind noise. Have you ever done that before? Yes. And you're driving, and you're like, why is it so cold in here? And I almost ended up calling Gordon Chevrolet like, I need to bring my car in because it wasn't getting any hotter. And then I go, my back window's open. And then let me tell you this story, okay? This is the crazy one. So I am on the mission to try to find stuff for Thanksgiving. And the stores are crazy. The Costco's crazy. I mean, there's like people there, like it's the last day before Thanksgiving. It's like the middle of the day. Do people not work on Tuesday afternoons? And I'm walking.

01:38:04 - 01:38:05 | Speaker 3:

Yesterday was Monday.

01:38:06 - 01:39:45 | Speaker 5:

Oh, crap. There you go. Today is Tuesday afternoon. Mars is in Uranus. Exactly. So I'm walking around Costco to kind of get some things, you know, for our Thanksgiving meal. But I always have to stop at the start of the store where they have the computers and the headphones and the phones and all the rest of that stuff. The jewelry. I don't know why I go there. I don't buy anything at all. Like, I don't usually get it unless it's the Christmas gift or something for somebody. But I go through it, and I just have to look at it for some reason. And then I occasionally will just sit there and go, maybe I should. And I'm like, no, I'm not going to do it because I don't want to spend the money on it. So I put my earbuds in, but I have these like Beats headphones that I use. They're like Bluetooth. And I figured, you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to put them in and I'm going to listen to. I was trying to watch. Joe had told me about this Bill Burr Red Rock special that was on Netflix that he said was hysterical. It is really good. Oh, and I love Bill Burr. I think he's hysterically funny. So I'm listening to it while I'm walking around Costco. and as I'm walking around Costco at some point during the time that I'm listening to it I notice people staring at me and they're looking at me like I was like with my zipper down or naked or something and I couldn't understand what the hell they were looking at like I didn't understand why I was getting these weird looks so I take my ear pod out in my ear because I got it in there and I take it out like this like I'm doing right now and I go oh I'm still hearing The whole time I was listening to the Bill Burr special, which he's swearing and he's like, got all this stuff in. He's talking.

01:39:45 - 01:39:46 | Speaker 3:

Inappropriate.

01:39:46 - 01:39:50 | Speaker 5:

Pretty inappropriate. My phone had it playing on the speaker.

01:39:50 - 01:39:54 | Speaker 3:

It wasn't connected. It wasn't connected. So you're broadcasting it to the whole store.

01:39:54 - 01:39:57 | Speaker 5:

So I'm broadcasting to... Which, by the way...

01:39:57 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 3:

You're probably like, look at this dumb old man. No, but that's...

01:40:00 - 01:41:22 | Speaker 1:

realize that comedy special is a little inappropriate there was some stuff in there that yes definitely but i had people kind of like looking at me actually one guy it's so funny now to think about this the guy who works at the the verizon or whatever it is like selling the phones kind of started laughing at one point and when he started laughing at one point it was when i started laughing i thought he was laughing at me laughing he was laughing at the bill first special It was crazy. So I have this happen. I'm like, oh, crap. But it's for some reason, it came off of Bluetooth off of my thing and has done that before where all of a sudden my Bluetooth disconnects with the thing. But I'm just listening along. Here I'm driving with my windows open. I got this thing. That Mars, it's not, it's Mars in retrograde. It's not, what's the other one that we always talk about? Mercury in retrograde. So there's something crazy going on right now in this world. So I wanted to ask this question. Have you ever had that happen to you where you're on your headphones or you had your headphones in only to know that your headphones weren't out? And what did people hear because you were watching or what did they get a chance to, you know, hear a comment or whatever? Because you got your headphones in and you're like feeling fine. Like, hey, okay, I can listen to a personal conversation. Nobody else can hear it. And then all of a sudden it comes off of that.

01:41:22 - 01:41:34 | Speaker 5:

Not the same thing, but similar while we're waiting for calls. Have you ever been next to a car at a red light or even just driving on a road and you can hear the person's entire conversation that they're having in the car?

01:41:34 - 01:41:34 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

01:41:35 - 01:41:59 | Speaker 5:

That happened to me yesterday in a parking lot. The person was sitting in the car next to me. And as I'm like trying to get all the stuff out of my car, I could hear the whole conversation that they were having. I'm like, I mean, it wasn't inappropriate, but still it's personal. It always sounds like somebody's yelling too. Yeah. That's just the volume. It's so loud. Like you got to know that the person in the car next to you at the red light with their windows rolled up can still hear you.

01:41:59 - 01:42:25 | Speaker 1:

I'm telling you that's happened where I've had it up loud talking to people and I get to a red light. And when people start looking at me, I realize, oh, they're looking at me because they can hear they can hear something, you know, 844 Mojo live 844-665-6548 or the text is 95500 to get through to us. They have everything now at Costco.

01:42:25 - 01:42:36 | Speaker 5:

I wish you would have told me you were going because I don't have my own membership. I mooch off of my sister and my friend Ashley and Wes, but I needed something and nobody was going yesterday. I wish I would have known.

01:42:36 - 01:43:00 | Speaker 1:

You can go in there and you can buy everything from the prepaid made turkey to the stuffing to the mashed potatoes to everything. Literally, you can buy it now. I know they have this at stores too, like grocery stores. Yeah, but it's not the same price. I mean, Costco is. They have like stacks of pies and stuff that are all over that place. So, I don't know. What's up, Mojo in the Morning? Hello.

01:43:01 - 01:43:33 | Speaker 3:

Hi. I have kind of like a similar situation. It's not headphones, but it was like a speaker from my TV outside in my house. The story is I was inside listening to Wolf of Wall Street, the movie, watching it, and I didn't know it was playing outside, and I had these young boys doing landscaping for me. And after about 45 minutes, they come and knock on my sliding glass door and they're like, I think you need to turn your TV off because the scene was where, do you know that movie? Oh, yeah. Oh, yes.

01:43:33 - 01:43:34 | Speaker 1:

What scene was it?

01:43:35 - 01:43:52 | Speaker 3:

The scene was the one where the wife is telling him, like, this is the last time he's going to get to bake cookies. Oh, my God. I know. I was so embarrassed because they were, like, 14 years old. It was awful. And I had no idea it was playing outside That's awesome

01:43:52 - 01:43:55 | Speaker 1:

Thank you for the call What's up Rachel, how you doing?

01:43:56 - 01:44:13 | Speaker 2:

I was at work listening to Mojo in the Morning On iHeartRadio And I was listening to Six on Sex And I didn't realize my whole office could hear Every time that I was broadcasting And they all heard the Six on Sex report

01:44:13 - 01:44:24 | Speaker 1:

01:44:26 - 01:44:27 | Speaker 1:

Doing great

01:44:27 - 01:44:53 | Speaker 4:

Hey, listen So one day I was in a gynecologist's office in the waiting room And I'm waiting for my appointment So I'm on Instagram and I'm looking at recipes So I go to turn the volume up And an ad comes on for vaginal dark dryness And everyone turns at me just bust out laughing. I was so embarrassed. I know, I know, I was looking at a recipe. I was looking at a recipe.

01:44:54 - 01:44:58 | Speaker 2:

To be fair, you were in the right place for that episode. That is true.

01:44:58 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 4:

Exactly.

01:45:00 - 01:45:07 | Speaker 3:

mary kate what's up hi hi we're talking about when people can overhear your what you're listening

01:45:07 - 01:45:33 | Speaker 4:

to so i have a very similar story um i was at a red light in toledo um and you know i had my windows down because it's summer and the guy next to me is gonna stop too and he had his windows down in his own conversation i'm great oh god this is annoying and so i'm sitting at this really long stoplight and all i could tell was that the guy was talking to talking to who i'm sorry say

01:45:33 - 01:45:38 | Speaker 3:

that your phone's gonna find out wait wait the guy was talking to who and then it cut out the

01:45:38 - 01:45:55 | Speaker 4:

guy was what the guy was talking to a woman um but the woman kept saying she's gonna find out she's gonna find out about us oh no no we're good we're good we're good and i'm like oh my god and then he's like amelia will never find out and i'm like whoever amelia and toledo is your your

01:45:55 - 01:46:03 | Speaker 3:

husband or your boyfriend is cheating on you oh my gosh five amelias there too wow dory what's up

01:46:03 - 01:46:51 | Speaker 5:

hi so i have a story of when i was in high school my girlfriend was actually the daughter of our principal and we were hanging out in her bedroom and all of a sudden her bluetooth speaker starts playing some very dirty things like these sounds coming out of nowhere we're like what the heck is that come to find out her stepfather my principal was having a little fun in his bedroom didn't realize oh no oh my gosh we're like 14 15 years old just hanging out oh my gosh that's bad oh my

01:46:51 - 01:46:56 | Speaker 3:

God. Did he know that you guys could hear it, or did you guys never tell

01:46:56 - 01:47:06 | Speaker 5:

him? Oh, God, no. We kept it a big secret. I think we did end up telling her mom, just brought her into the room like, what's going on? Where is this coming from? And she's like, oh, God, girls, just let it go.

01:47:07 - 01:47:31 | Speaker 3:

That's fantastic. Thank you for the call. Take care of yourself. All right. Mojo in the Morning Show. It's good to have you guys listening to us today. 104.5 SNX, channel 955 got Michigan covered and we've got Ohio covered too with 92.5 KISS FM. What do you got coming up in the dirty in

01:47:31 - 01:47:56 | Speaker 1:

just seconds? So the I have more details on the sentencing of Chrisley knows best stars Todd and Julie Chrisley including the excuses that they were telling the judge to try to get out of going to federal prison and also Kobe Bryant's daughter was in a different courtroom yesterday She has a real bad stalker, like super scary situation. So I'll fill you in on that coming up in the Dirty.

01:47:56 - 01:48:32 | Speaker 3:

Well, we'll talk about that in just a second. I tried to watch some of the World Cup yesterday. Like we had it on in our potluck that we were doing in the office potluck. And it wasn't the U.S. playing yet. So the U.S. played right after that, like in the afternoon. And I sat there and I was watching it. And I thought to myself, am I the only one that just doesn't get soccer, like doesn't find it interesting to watch? I don't get it either. I mean, I felt like they owe me, you know, two hours of my day back.

01:48:32 - 01:48:34 | Speaker 4:

It's the number one sport in the world.

01:48:34 - 01:48:35 | Speaker 3:

I get it. Right.

01:48:35 - 01:48:38 | Speaker 2:

But a lot of us in America were raised in other sports.

01:48:38 - 01:48:39 | Speaker 3:

But no.

01:48:39 - 01:48:42 | Speaker 2:

My daughter played high school soccer and I still don't know the rules.

01:48:43 - 01:49:07 | Speaker 3:

I watch the games. I'm not talking about even just knowing rules or anything like that. I watched a one-to-one game, and I watched, like, nothing going on at all. And then at the end of the game, I'm like, okay, this thing ends after, what, 80 minutes or whatever? And the game doesn't end. All of a sudden, they keep adding time on to the whole deal. I'm like, what is in the world kind of a sport? First off, count time up and doesn't count time down.

01:49:07 - 01:49:08 | Speaker 4:

That does bother me.

01:49:08 - 01:49:13 | Speaker 3:

I will agree with you. Like, give me an idea of when this thing's over with so I know I can go take a pee, right?

01:49:13 - 01:49:15 | Speaker 2:

So, Megan, you played soccer.

01:49:15 - 01:49:18 | Speaker 4:

I did for a very long time. I played travel.

01:49:18 - 01:49:38 | Speaker 2:

And I'm imagining when you talk to people, it's frustrating because I never understood hockey until I started hanging around with a bunch of guys in college that played hockey. And when I finally understood the rules, it went from the least exciting to the most exciting game for me. Same as soccer, where you'd think one-to-one, that's a boring game, and you realize it's the most exciting volley.

01:49:39 - 01:49:41 | Speaker 4:

But the rules of hockey and soccer are very similar.

01:49:42 - 01:49:52 | Speaker 3:

But here's the thing. Hockey, though, is a little bit more entertaining because the ice that they play on the rink is so much smaller. The field is way too big for a hockey soccer.

01:49:52 - 01:49:56 | Speaker 4:

But that actually makes it more impressive because they're running like 10 to 15 miles a game.

01:49:57 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 3:

Megan, I don't care about being impressed.

01:50:00 - 01:50:08 | Speaker 4:

I want to be entertained. There's no entertainment. I just think we're so used to football with the high impact and there's always a big play happening. It's just not that sucker.

01:50:08 - 01:50:27 | Speaker 6:

I love football. Do not get me wrong. I am a huge football fanatic. But that sport is relatively boring. For a three-hour game, they only play for like five minutes. They play a couple of second plays at a time. And then you wait two minutes in between plays. If you look at the statistics of how much of a football game is actually a football play, very, very low.

01:50:27 - 01:50:32 | Speaker 3:

But, Megan, there's at least hitting going on. There's at least great wild catches.

01:50:32 - 01:50:36 | Speaker 6:

Well, if you watch women's soccer, they pull off their jerseys all the time. So maybe you should watch for that. Oh, really?

01:50:37 - 01:50:46 | Speaker 4:

Okay. But here's the other thing. I bet it's like going to one of those games. It's probably fun to go to a soccer game, to go to one of those big World Cup games, because it's a whole experience and you're partying.

01:50:47 - 01:50:51 | Speaker 6:

Go watch the Columbus Crew. They're relatively close. I go every year to one of their games.

01:50:51 - 01:51:03 | Speaker 3:

There's also, you know, we have a team here in Detroit. I don't even know what it is, because I don't know. I have no clue because I'm not a soccer fan, but there's a team that plays, I think, in Hamtramck or something.

01:51:03 - 01:51:39 | Speaker 2:

I've been to their games. The Detroit Football Club might be the most exciting, exhilarating game you could ever attend in your life. And their fans are the most fervent and insane. Oh, it's awesome. It feels like a riot's going to break out at any minute. They have chants and songs, and they light off smoke bombs. It's in Hamtramck. There's a little – oh, I can't remember the name of the field. they play in but it is so much fun you go early and you can watch them march down the street into the stadium and oh it's a blast you guys got experience all i want the whole time i'm doing

01:51:39 - 01:51:42 | Speaker 3:

it is just to get the excitement level of those announcers when they're screaming out

01:51:42 - 01:51:49 | Speaker 2:

after going to the games i had to buy a detroit city till i die t-shirt

01:51:49 - 01:52:03 | Speaker 3:

You know why he's screaming like that? Because he's not going to say that for another entire four hours. What's up, Tyler? How are you doing?

01:52:04 - 01:52:16 | Speaker 1:

Good. Yeah, I just wanted to comment. I also watched that soccer game yesterday, and I was just really disappointed with the actual video coverage. There were zero close-ups of the action. All of the video coverage was very far away.

01:52:16 - 01:52:20 | Speaker 3:

Maybe that's it. It's a widescreen the whole time.

01:52:20 - 01:52:24 | Speaker 6:

You'll miss so much of the big plays. You have to watch the full field.

01:52:24 - 01:52:34 | Speaker 3:

In football, they actually have, like, the cameras that are tied up to ropes and things. Or, like, you know, like, they're like drones. Like, maybe have drones flying above these guys' heads. To give me some more perspective.

01:52:35 - 01:52:47 | Speaker 1:

Even in Premier League soccer that you watch on the weekends, which is the best. I mean, when there's action, the cameras are right on the field. You get to see what's happening. At least you get to see the replays of what's happening. but I felt that.

01:52:48 - 01:52:57 | Speaker 3:

I think the players should wear cameras on them like USFL players do. They have to wear the camera right on their helmets and stuff. What's up, Kelly?

01:52:58 - 01:53:19 | Speaker 5:

Hi there. How are you guys doing? Good. What's going on? I had a comment. Actually, the first time I ever went to a soccer game was the Detroit City game, and it was the most exciting sporting event I've ever been to. They had crowd cheerleaders. They were blowing colored smoke through the sand the whole time, and they were singing, chanting, moving through the stands the whole time.

01:53:19 - 01:53:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it changed your soul. They don't sit for the entire game. It's just crazy.

01:53:24 - 01:53:33 | Speaker 5:

No, the whole time. I mean, they're going side to side and up and down the stands, the bleachers. It's pretty intense.

01:53:33 - 01:53:43 | Speaker 2:

I went to see Manchester United at the Big House when they visited Michigan Stadium and had a goodwill game in the States, and it was nothing like Detroit City. Detroit City is just another level.

01:53:43 - 01:53:58 | Speaker 3:

Like, I honestly was watching that game yesterday going, I don't get it. Like, I love Ted Lasso, but I have no interest in watching that. Like, why can't every soccer game be like Ted Lasso, where it's at least exciting, you know?

01:53:59 - 01:54:28 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. My friend who watches soccer all the time always makes jokes about football because he knows I'm really into Michigan football. And he's like, yeah, the reason football players wear helmets is to stop them from kissing. And my favorite part about your American football is how they all get together beforehand and tell secrets before the play. And he just, like, makes fun of how, like, they wear all these pads, but they stop a play. Every time someone gets hurt, they stop for 20 minutes. He's like, man, soccer, they will abuse each other and leave the bodies on the field and just keep going away. I mean, not always.

01:54:28 - 01:54:30 | Speaker 6:

There's a lot of theatrics in soccer.

01:54:31 - 01:54:40 | Speaker 2:

Well, there's a lot of theatrics, too. Yeah, a lot of faking to hope they get the, what is it, the yellow card? Is that right? Is that a penalty? Yes, there's yellow cards, red cards. It's nice they give each other cards, Mojo.

01:54:41 - 01:54:46 | Speaker 3:

The field is too big. Let me just say this. They need to make the field smaller. Please, for me.

01:54:48 - 01:54:50 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:54:51 - 01:54:52 | Speaker 3:

All right, Dirty on the 30, what's going on?

01:54:52 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 4:

Well, yesterday, Natalia Bryant, the 19-year-old daughter of the late Kobe Bryant, filed for a temporary restraining order.

01:55:00 - 01:56:07 | Speaker 1:

in an L.A. court claiming this 32-year-old man has been stalking her for years, since she was a minor. Natalia accused a man named Dwayne Kemp of messaging her on social media since 2020 as if they had a romantic relationship. She does not know this man, okay? He tried to find her on the USC campus where she's a student. Court docs say he is a gun enthusiast. He's been arrested for misdemeanors involving a firearm in the past. Court docs also say Natalia is terrified He's trying to make in-person contact with her Which it sounds like he is She said she absolutely does not feel safe The documents that I was reading through Show some of the creepy messages That he was sending her on like Instagram One of the messages Was like a photo of Kobe And then this guy wrote Thankful for him birthing you Hopefully we can birth him Hopefully we can birth another Kobe This guy also sent Natalia a message saying, I love you and I'm so sorry. Can we talk and make up so we can be together again? Like in his head, he thinks that they are together. A judge has not ruled on this case

01:56:07 - 01:56:09 | Speaker 3:

yet. Has not ruled. I think you got your ruling

01:56:09 - 01:57:14 | Speaker 1:

right there. It's like crazy. Come on, yeah. In an Atlanta courtroom yesterday, that was LA. This is Atlanta. It was decided that reality stars Todd and Julie Chrisley from Chrisley Knows Best are going to do hard time after being convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion. A judge sentenced Todd to 12 years in federal. prison and Julie to seven years. Federal prosecutors argued for lengthy prison sentences for Todd and Julie, around 22 years for Todd and a dozen or so for Julie. Julie tried to dodge her prison sentence by telling the judge that this mess had left her 10-year-old adopted daughter, Chloe, suicidal. She told the judge, Chloe said she doesn't want to live anymore if her mom goes away and pled for leniency in her sentencing. Well, it didn't work. Todd also pleaded with the judge to go easy on his wife arguing that she's the primary caregiver of their two young kids. U.S. District Judge Eleanor Ross was unmoved by those emotional pleas from Todd and Julie and handed down their sentences saying the greed and flamboyance in this case could not

01:57:14 - 01:57:18 | Speaker 4:

be ignored. Can they do emotional pleas? Because I've seen their face. They have so much plastic

01:57:18 - 01:57:27 | Speaker 1:

surgery. I don't know if you see any emotions. It's funny. It's funny that you say that because There were no cameras allowed in the courtroom, so they were just sketches.

01:57:27 - 01:57:28 | Speaker 4:

Oh, geez.

01:57:28 - 01:58:49 | Speaker 1:

And I was looking at the sketches, and it was like, this is the moment that their sentences were handed down. And it looked like the same moment as when they walked in the courtroom and the same moment as they were led out of the courtroom. They were just, their faces never moved. The entire Power Rangers fandom is reeling over the death of the green-turned-white Power Ranger Jason David Frank. It's believed that he died by suicide. We talked about this yesterday. Well, now we're learning about the events that led up to that. Law enforcement sources say that Jason and his wife Tammy checked into a hotel in Texas on Friday. They're in the middle of a divorce, okay? So they got separate rooms, but at some point, they got into an argument in Tammy's room. Staffers were called to calm things down, which they did. At some point, either late Friday night or early Saturday morning, they got into another fight, and Jason locked Tammy out of his room. Tammy, a couple of hours later, apparently got concerned for his safety, called the cops around 5 o'clock Saturday morning. When officers couldn't make contact with Jason, hotel management let them in, and they discovered him in the bathroom. And lastly, Kendall Jenner and Devin Booker have quietly called it quits. They actually broke up last month, from what I'm told, kept it on the down low. The reason we're being told is that their hectic schedules made it very difficult to see one another. But, Megan, the theory after the 30. Suspicious, I tell you.

01:58:49 - 01:59:28 | Speaker 2:

And that's because who else had a similar breakup? Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles when they were spending so much time together. But here's where we dive even further into suspicion. Because Kylie and Kendall and Hailey Bieber were all at one of the Love on Tour dates at the Kiam Forum in L.A. And that was one of the nights that Olivia Wilde was not there. And when Harry was performing Love of My Life, I believe it was, he actually blew a kiss to Kendall Jenner, his ex-girlfriend. A lot of people think that they're getting back together. And this is all rumors, and I'm living for it. I like that.

Mojo in the Morning show. It's time now for Breakup or Makeup, and you decide the fate of a relationship. Should they break up? Should they make up? Give some advice. Alexis having some issues right now, and there's somebody coming in between you and your boyfriend, Alexis and who is that particular Person

02:01:01 - 02:01:13 | Speaker 5:

It's my boyfriend's sister They just they have A very Close relationship And I just think it's so weird

02:01:13 - 02:01:17 | Speaker 2:

Describe it What's the close relationship That's weird

02:01:17 - 02:01:35 | Speaker 5:

So like they're texting all day Every day like non-stop They take Pictures together all the time That like if you Were just scrolling on his Instagram Like you would think that Like she was his girlfriend Like

02:01:35 - 02:01:39 | Speaker 2:

There's more pictures of her on His Instagram than there are of you

02:01:39 - 02:01:50 | Speaker 5:

Like very cuddly photos You know like really close Hugging lovey Photos And he always wants to Bring her on our dates

02:01:50 - 02:01:55 | Speaker 2:

Does she have like a Boyfriend or girlfriend

02:01:55 - 02:01:57 | Speaker 5:

No no no no Like if we're going

02:01:57 - 02:01:59 | Speaker 2:

So she becomes the third wheel?

02:01:59 - 02:02:03 | Speaker 5:

He's like, well, we should invite her. And I'm like, but why?

02:02:05 - 02:02:10 | Speaker 2:

Is it in his family, is it just him and his sister, or does he have other siblings?

02:02:11 - 02:02:17 | Speaker 5:

He has another sibling, and he is not, and it's a guy, and he's not close with him at all.

02:02:17 - 02:02:45 | Speaker 2:

So he's not close with his brother, but he's very close with his sister. all right so let's go back here for a second because the whole you know he's very close to her texts her a lot and stuff like that is that bad i mean do you find that to be like did she ever say anything negative about you or does she have any things in that she does that causes for you to uh to feel like she's coming in between the two of you guys aside from the fact that she

02:02:45 - 02:03:24 | Speaker 5:

goes out with you guys a lot no she hasn't really done or said anything i mean i guess like she kind of will you know like make comments about like she likes to bring up any kind of like inside jokes they have or stories about them when they were younger anytime that like he and i are being close like you know just kind of be like you know i've known him longer um or maybe i'm just reading into that, but that's how it feels. Sounds like there's like a little bit of a jealousy there. Yeah. And I totally feel like there is on my end, but I definitely think there is on her end.

02:03:24 - 02:03:32 | Speaker 3:

I mean on her end. I mean on the sister's end, I feel like she feels threatened by Alexis.

02:03:33 - 02:03:40 | Speaker 2:

I'm catching the other way. I'm thinking that Alexis is jealous of the sister more so than the sister's jealous of Alexis.

02:03:40 - 02:03:47 | Speaker 3:

Well, I'm trying to think of a reason, though, of why the sister always wants to be involved. And I feel like that could be... Of course, there's jealousy on Alexis's part.

02:03:47 - 02:04:00 | Speaker 2:

Well, maybe the reason the sister always wants to get involved is because the boyfriend always gets her involved. He's on the phone with us right now. You want me to bring Nate into this? Nate, are you okay with being on the radio with us?

02:04:01 - 02:04:02 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'm okay with that.

02:04:02 - 02:04:17 | Speaker 2:

So, Nate, are you the one that's always inviting your sister to join you guys for when you guys go out and about? do you find anything weird with the relationship that you have with your sister not really no we

02:04:17 - 02:04:54 | Speaker 4:

grew up together and we're just closer than most brothers and sisters are but at the same time we are you know grew up together we basically hang out all the time and um i can understand how uh i can understand how Alexis was a little bit put off by it but like it's not like she's getting going to bed with us and stuff like that. It's usually like if we're going to go bowling or if we're going to go get a drink or if we're going to go dancing and I'm trying to encourage my sister to get out there a little bit more and at some point in time Amber needs to spread her wings and start dating somebody else. So I'm trying to bring her out with us. That way she looks what a healthy relationship looks like.

02:04:55 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 2:

So she's your younger sister? Yeah.

02:05:00 - 02:05:26 | Speaker 8:

She's two years younger than me, but at the same time, like, she's got through a really bad breakup recently, and she's not really—she's used to a narcissistic, controlling type guy, and I hopefully don't come off that way to her, but at the same time, that was the relationship that she got used to. I'm trying to show her that there's other stuff out there. However, I can appreciate the fact that my girlfriend gets a little bit jealous of that fact because it seems like I'm putting more attention towards my sister, but—

02:05:26 - 02:05:26 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

02:05:27 - 02:05:32 | Speaker 6:

Do you do stuff without your sister? Yeah Very rarely

02:05:32 - 02:05:33 | Speaker 3:

Very rarely

02:05:33 - 02:05:36 | Speaker 1:

Well it sounds like his heart's in the right place

02:05:36 - 02:05:43 | Speaker 3:

Only because like she has work Or she has something going on Like she already has plans Not because she wasn't invited

02:05:43 - 02:05:53 | Speaker 8:

Well babe if you want to just Make it easier on the both of us And like start doing more stuff versus you and me Just tell me that and we'll do that And I will invite my kids to like

02:05:53 - 02:06:22 | Speaker 7:

Sounds logical What about that It's very reasonable. Let's ask this, Nate. Nate, I want to ask this question because the visual I have is that people, like, can see your social media and see that you're always with your sister. They may not even know that Alexis and you are together. Is it as drastic as she tried to portray it, or is she just making a little too much out of maybe a photo or two?

02:06:22 - 02:06:34 | Speaker 8:

it's it's not you know it's not light but it's not like ridiculous with the amount of stuff that i post but i can understand that if she wants me to start posting her in my story a little bit more

02:06:34 - 02:06:39 | Speaker 3:

and post a little you know inspiration i will send you i will send you his instagram handle

02:06:39 - 02:06:50 | Speaker 7:

and then you tell me which one you think i am wow okay i do want to see that uh brooke comment What's up?

02:06:51 - 02:06:53 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Mojo. I love you guys, by the way.

02:06:53 - 02:06:54 | Speaker 7:

We love you, too.

02:06:55 - 02:07:13 | Speaker 5:

I listen every day. So I didn't break up only because, like, I mean, I get this situation, but if you're jealous, if she's jealous of his sister, then he's not the one for you just because he's close with his sister. I mean, family is amazing. Family's first. It's not always blood, but if you have that relationship and that bond with your family, that's sacred.

02:07:15 - 02:07:33 | Speaker 6:

It is sacred. It is sacred. But I do feel like he I feel like there is a line, though, like I family over everything. Absolutely. But like if they're not spending time and nurturing their relationship as a couple, that that's a big issue, too.

02:07:33 - 02:07:35 | Speaker 1:

Megan, we know you and your brother.

02:07:35 - 02:07:55 | Speaker 5:

I totally agree with that. But maybe just say, hey, can we you know, if you have expectations of she has expectations of like hanging out with just him. and say, hey, I would love to just spend this time with you instead of being jealous of his sister. Yes, yes, yes. Put it out there and say, hey, this is, I'm really looking forward to just me and you. Yes.

02:07:55 - 02:08:10 | Speaker 1:

I want to ask Megan if she's ever experienced this because we all know how close she is to her brother and they're also roommates, but you've had relationships, has this ever come up, where people were jealous of your brother and you because you have such a tight-knit relationship?

02:08:10 - 02:09:08 | Speaker 2:

So this makes me super sad, this whole situation, especially because this guy is being super open with his communication with his girlfriend and saying hey if you're uncomfortable thank you for voicing this I'll change some stuff but I don't know why there's this weird connotation to brothers and sisters that are close because if the roles were reversed and this is a guy upset with his girlfriend because his her sister was around all the time nobody would be saying these weird innuendos about well they're really close so something must be going on it's like this weird fetish fetishization is that the right word of brothers and and sisters and I really don't like it especially because like my brother is my best friend in the entire world we spend a lot of time together but I also want his happiness so if his happiness is with a relationship and and that girl is upset like I want him to balance It's not necessarily put her first or me first, but balance. Yeah, yes.

02:09:09 - 02:09:16 | Speaker 6:

It just doesn't sound like that's happening here. Chrissy. But he's saying he would. Right. But I think this is the first time this is the voice. Exactly.

02:09:16 - 02:09:17 | Speaker 4:

Exactly.

02:09:17 - 02:09:20 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, he seems pretty rational. Chrissy, you were in a similar situation?

02:09:21 - 02:09:46 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so me and my brother, he's younger than I. We were, like, really close growing up. It's just the two of us. I totally agree with what Megan said. People make it way weirder than it needs to be. But also, like, when he would come out with us, my fiancé was, like, wingman for him. So maybe, like, that's just what she needs to do to, like, make it work and kind of, you know, in a weird way but not in a mean way, pawn off the little sister.

02:09:46 - 02:09:49 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Renee, hi.

02:09:49 - 02:09:51 | Speaker 3:

Yes. Hello. Hi.

02:09:51 - 02:09:52 | Speaker 7:

How are you? Breakup or makeup?

02:09:54 - 02:10:32 | Speaker 3:

I'm saying makeup. I have the same situation with my husband. It wasn't his sister, though. It was his mother. mother well that's a different story all together yes but it's not it's they she just didn't want to do things alone all the time and wanted to be with him but when i started hanging out with my brother a lot more he started to realize that i just wanted him to pick me first um and it can get better but um there is a jealousy there when it's brother and sister or any relationship you want to be first sometimes and if he really loves her he'll balance it out and they can make it work

02:10:32 - 02:10:37 | Speaker 2:

yeah okay so you're saying that he needs to stop being with his sister even though he sounded

02:10:37 - 02:10:56 | Speaker 3:

pretty rational about things um well not you don't have to do it all the time to show her what a good man should do i mean um you can spend time with both but if you don't put your spouse first when she's telling you she needs that you're just gonna push her away yeah matt you had a question

02:10:56 - 02:10:57 | Speaker 2:

What was your question?

02:10:58 - 02:11:04 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, is this his actual, you know, blood system, or is it a theft system? Why does that matter?

02:11:07 - 02:11:08 | Speaker 3:

I mean...

02:11:08 - 02:11:10 | Speaker 2:

You watch a lot of porn, don't you?

02:11:10 - 02:11:11 | Speaker 3:

It's the fetishism. No, no.

02:11:11 - 02:11:17 | Speaker 2:

I've heard of a theft system and a stepbrother doing... No, that's not...

02:11:17 - 02:11:20 | Speaker 6:

Thanks for adding to the conversation. Proving my point. Yeah.

02:11:22 - 02:11:33 | Speaker 2:

Last comment from Therapist Jen. Our therapist, Jen, is going to give you some details of what you should do. Should she, Alexis, run or should Nate run? Which one of these guys should run?

02:11:34 - 02:12:07 | Speaker 4:

Well, more so Nate. I guess, Alexis, I see where you're coming from, but I guess you have to ask yourself why you're trying to be this cool, laid-back girlfriend, not saying much, because he found it a little surprised and communicate more. And if he offers, you know, wants to bring her along or maybe say, Like, hey, on Wednesday, can we just go out the two of us? And when you're out, you know, maybe if you guys are out, you ask her to, like, hey, can you take a picture of us? And, you know, try to balance things out because it seems like you're building this resentment, but he doesn't really know where it's coming from.

02:12:08 - 02:12:37 | Speaker 2:

I was surprised also that this is, like, the first that Nate has ever really heard that this has been a problem. And I agree with you, Therapist Jen, that it's all because she's not communicated until now. She's let everything fester to this one big deal here. And Alexis, do you understand that? That you just need to say, you need to speak up a little bit. Nate seems like a rational guy. Just say, no, just us tonight. You know, or, hey, you know, what's going on here? Let's have some, you know, you and I time.

02:12:38 - 02:13:21 | Speaker 5:

I totally get that. But he does know that because this is not, we've actually broken up in the past. because of the situation because of his sister why because i was just like i feel like you don't want to spend time with me and like if if you don't want to spend time with me like why are you even with me and so there were times like we i mean i guess i wouldn't say break up i mean like we took like really let's separate like i mean i mean we were but we weren't we were still talking but we weren't like seeing other people but we weren't like really seeing each other i was like I need to give you some space to try and figure out what's going on. And then when I, you know, he would come back and we would spend more time, just the two of us, and then he would just start, like, bringing her around

02:13:21 - 02:13:25 | Speaker 6:

and then all the time. Do you like her, Alexis? Do you like the sister?

02:13:26 - 02:13:29 | Speaker 5:

I don't dislike her. I just, you know.

02:13:29 - 02:13:33 | Speaker 6:

Oh, that wasn't the question. Do you like the sister?

02:13:36 - 02:13:39 | Speaker 5:

I mean, she's a nice person.

02:13:39 - 02:13:47 | Speaker 6:

This could be a group effort Of both of you taking her under your wing To help her out But it sounds like there's some friction there

02:13:47 - 02:14:30 | Speaker 2:

Nate does your sister like Alexis She does Yeah She thinks that she Not anymore Wow wow wow I am ready for Thanksgiving You guys ready Oh yeah Do you guys prepare by eating less or doing anything like this has been like the weirdest thing we had a friends giving the other night and then last night I decided I wasn't going to eat dinner because I kind of ate a later lunch and for some reason I got this feeling that I'm preparing myself for Thursday where I'm just going to eat my face off

02:14:30 - 02:14:36 | Speaker 6:

you know it's weird because we think let's stop eating but really what we're doing is shrinking our stomach

02:14:36 - 02:14:47 | Speaker 1:

and making it harder pretty much yeah it still doesn't make a difference to me how or how hard i plan i still just like could go to town oh yeah although i will say this you said something before

02:14:47 - 02:14:58 | Speaker 2:

the show today that we need to bring up on the air what you commit the mortal sin or want to commit the mortal sin of mortal sins on thanksgiving oh about the timing yes well it's it's i feel like

02:14:58 - 02:16:09 | Speaker 1:

This is a debate. every family. Growing up, okay, so I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year. Let me start off by saying that. So I'm having my family, my kids, Wes, my boyfriend, his kids, my mom, her boyfriend, some of his family, my sister, like there's going to be a bunch of people at my house, okay? Growing up, we always ate Thanksgiving quote unquote dinner at like three or four o'clock. And I never understood that because it's like the middle of the day and you're sitting down to like eat dinner. But that was just like a thing. Well, since I'm hosting this year, I said dinner should be at six o'clock. And everybody has their opinions on this. But the reason I did that is because we have a family tradition where we go to Detroit to see the Thanksgiving parade. So we'll go to eat brunch at our buddy Tom's, the Hudson Cafe. We eat this huge brunch. We go to see the parade and then some of my family members go to the lions game so we've already eaten they're drinking at the game by the time they get home it's late and so i feel like dinner should be at dinner time six o'clock oh you can't do that my mom's like that is too late nobody has time to

02:16:09 - 02:16:17 | Speaker 5:

digest anything before they go to bed you gotta eat like three-ish because no because i just had

02:16:17 - 02:16:22 | Speaker 1:

brunch a couple of hours earlier. Well, don't eat brunch. I have to. It's tradition, and I love it. It's the best food ever.

02:16:23 - 02:16:23 | Speaker 5:

Okay, then eat a light brunch.

02:16:24 - 02:16:24 | Speaker 1:

No, you can't there.

02:16:25 - 02:16:41 | Speaker 5:

Thanksgiving meal, and Mike, you'll probably agree, Spike might agree too on this one, and if you guys don't, then don't speak up, but you want to eat at 3 o'clock so that you can eat again at 6 and then 9. Yes. You have a nap in between all those two.

02:16:41 - 02:16:48 | Speaker 1:

But see, we're already doing that. We're eating at the parade, and then some of them are eating at the game.

02:16:48 - 02:16:50 | Speaker 5:

Well, there's your problem. You do that whole stupid parade thing.

02:16:50 - 02:17:05 | Speaker 3:

But you also can't cater to the game guys because they're just eating junk and drinking beers the whole game. And then they're going to come home and not even enjoy the giant Thanksgiving meal. You've got to cater to the masses. Everybody's sitting at home smelling the smells, and you're making them wait until 6 o'clock at night.

02:17:05 - 02:17:19 | Speaker 5:

I did the game a few times, and when I would do the game a few times, I was told by Chelsea not to eat anything, to come home hungry. And it was very tempting to be honest with her. But we would eat there at the game, and then she knew we screwed up our appetite at the game.

02:17:19 - 02:17:23 | Speaker 4:

Well, they have those giant turkey legs at the game.

02:17:23 - 02:17:41 | Speaker 1:

See, and it's also nice because we all see each other in the morning. So it's nice for everybody who's not going to the game to get to go home, take a little nap, get refreshed. When they come to my house, I have tons of apps put out. So there's still stuff to eat. And then we sit down for dinner at 6. What kind of apps do you guys do? My sister is in charge of all of the apps this year, and she blows it out of the park.

02:17:41 - 02:17:46 | Speaker 5:

Sometimes the apps ruin your Thanksgiving meal because you have so many apps that you, you know.

02:17:46 - 02:17:49 | Speaker 1:

But see, then you're kind of just eating all day. And then dinner time is dinner.

02:17:49 - 02:18:11 | Speaker 5:

Listen, we come from a family of eaters, if you haven't seen us. And I will say this. You have to. Thanksgiving in my house is great because, first off, Chelsea makes everybody have to get nicely dressed for Thanksgiving dinner. And within 15 minutes after we're all done, everybody's in sweatpants. It's the wildest thing ever.

02:18:11 - 02:18:21 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. So many texters are saying their dinner is Lions halftime. That is when they have Thanksgiving dinner. Which is what?

02:18:21 - 02:18:42 | Speaker 5:

Like 2 o'clock? 3 o'clock. 2.30, 3 o'clock. Okay, yeah. Yeah. That's a good one. Ours usually, so I would say that we go a little later. We go maybe at the end of the game, which the Lions actually don't always screw up Thanksgiving. They actually do, I don't know what their record is, but their record's actually not that bad on Thanksgiving, is it, Mike?

02:18:43 - 02:18:45 | Speaker 4:

They do better on Thanksgiving. I don't know.

02:18:45 - 02:18:48 | Speaker 5:

I'll look it up right now. Can you imagine if they win their fourth in a row on Thanksgiving?

02:18:48 - 02:18:55 | Speaker 3:

I was just going to say, then those guys are coming home from the stadium even drunker, or they're going to a bar afterwards to celebrate.

02:18:55 - 02:18:58 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. Megan, what time do we eat in your household?

02:18:59 - 02:19:06 | Speaker 2:

Great question. Anywhere from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., depending on how bad the cooking is going.

02:19:06 - 02:19:09 | Speaker 5:

You'll have a Thanksgiving meal at 11?

02:19:09 - 02:19:21 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I'm going to tell you why. When I cook Thanksgiving, because I'm usually pretty suited, I plan for 11, and then the food hits the table around 2 or 3 o'clock.

02:19:21 - 02:19:23 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh. That's crazy.

02:19:24 - 02:19:25 | Speaker 2:

But I'm not a cook, you guys.

02:19:26 - 02:19:33 | Speaker 4:

Since 1934, the Lions are 37 and 43. That's their record, 37, 43, and 2. Wow.

02:19:34 - 02:19:46 | Speaker 3:

If they squeak a win in a season, it usually is Thanksgiving, I feel like, anyway. I don't know. The last Thanksgiving game I was at was a couple years ago against the Eagles, and that was a blowout.

02:19:46 - 02:19:52 | Speaker 5:

So you go down, you do the parade, you eat a brunch, and that doesn't ruin you for the entire day of Thanksgiving?

02:19:52 - 02:19:57 | Speaker 1:

No, because that's why I don't eat dinner until later. Because then by 6 o'clock, I'm starving.

02:19:57 - 02:20:04 | Speaker 3:

The Pilgrims ate. Late at 3 o'clock, we heard. You're seriously talking about the Pilgrims for 2022. Late at 3 o'clock.

02:20:05 - 02:20:06 | Speaker 5:

Shut up.

02:20:07 - 02:20:09 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Alexis? Or Alex? I'm sorry, Alex.

02:20:10 - 02:20:19 | Speaker 5:

Oh, it's okay. It's Alex. I'm saying you have to eat early so you can have like two or three or four different dinners like throughout the day. See, we do that with apps.

02:20:19 - 02:20:21 | Speaker 4:

Locktovers. We got all the apps throughout the day.

02:20:22 - 02:20:28 | Speaker 3:

Apps are just a formality. Apps are just as good as the dinner. Apps are a formality on Thanksgiving.

02:20:28 - 02:20:29 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's just a filler.

02:20:30 - 02:20:32 | Speaker 5:

That's my duty. I have to do it this year.

02:20:33 - 02:20:36 | Speaker 3:

And then what about dessert? You guys not having dessert until midnight?

02:20:36 - 02:20:41 | Speaker 4:

Oh, okay. You cook all day. It takes everybody about 25 minutes to eat.

02:20:41 - 02:20:43 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but we're full. We can't eat dessert right afterwards.

02:20:43 - 02:20:46 | Speaker 4:

So if you start dinner at 6, by 6.30, you're having dessert.

02:20:46 - 02:20:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so we do right after the game, like 3, 4 o'clock, we will eat our food. And then dessert is usually an hour or so after we eat and clean up the kitchen.

02:20:58 - 02:21:01 | Speaker 4:

When you've got little kids there, you eat as fast as humanly possible to get it done with.

02:21:02 - 02:21:07 | Speaker 1:

No, you eat dinner, then you take a nap. Then you eat second round of dinner, then you eat dessert.

02:21:07 - 02:21:11 | Speaker 2:

And then you send those brats to the basement. Leave us alone, kids. This is adult day.

02:21:11 - 02:21:18 | Speaker 3:

And then sometimes we'll go to a 9.30 or 10 o'clock Imagine Theater movie and go get big popcorns and candies and stuff.

02:21:18 - 02:21:19 | Speaker 4:

Is the theater open on Thanksgiving?

02:21:20 - 02:21:20 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah.

02:21:20 - 02:21:22 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I thought it was just Christmas Eve. I didn't know they were open on Thanksgiving.

02:21:23 - 02:21:23 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:21:23 - 02:21:24 | Speaker 4:

Or Christmas Day, I mean.

02:21:24 - 02:21:30 | Speaker 3:

We'll do a late movie. That's a good movie time, too. What's up, Morgan?

02:21:31 - 02:21:40 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, hi. I was just going to say, my husband and I, we usually have to go three, sometimes four places. So we normally eat once at about noon, once at about two, and then again around five.

02:21:40 - 02:21:43 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Let me ask you a question. When do you take your bowel movement?

02:21:45 - 02:21:49 | Speaker 5:

Usually we get about an hour break. Trick question. We can take care of business.

02:21:49 - 02:21:52 | Speaker 3:

You take multiples that day. You take a lot of them that day, right?

02:21:52 - 02:21:56 | Speaker 2:

You're going to have morning coffee to clear your system for the new day. Yeah.

02:21:56 - 02:22:04 | Speaker 1:

I don't know what it is about the holiday, but I don't have to go, especially if I'm going to, like, in-laws' places. Something about my body just knows that today is not the day.

02:22:04 - 02:22:09 | Speaker 3:

Can I tell you that I planned my colonoscopy a couple weeks ago based around Thanksgiving?

02:22:09 - 02:22:10 | Speaker 1:

Shut up.

02:22:10 - 02:22:19 | Speaker 3:

Yes. I want to have more room. We hope your turkey is moist enough to make Mojo blush. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:22:20 - 02:22:27 | Speaker 2:

Six. On. Six. Six. I'll tell you what it's got in it. It's got sexual innuendo, mild profanity, toilet humor, and drinking.

02:22:27 - 02:22:44 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that a... Roll the awkwardness. It's Mojo in the Morning, Six on Sex. You guys are going to fall in love with the mom on our Six on Sex today. It's Montez's mom. Montez's mom, are you there?

02:22:45 - 02:22:53 | Speaker 6:

Hi, how are you? How are you doing? Hello, mother. Oh, my. Hi, how are you? Oh, love you. Love you, too.

02:22:54 - 02:23:00 | Speaker 3:

Excellent. Montez is here to play a little contest to win some tickets. Montez, tell your mother what the contest is called.

02:23:01 - 02:23:12 | Speaker 6:

It's called 606, mother. Okay. Six. Right. On. Six. S-E-X. That's what I thought you said.

02:23:15 - 02:23:20 | Speaker 3:

Okay. And this is how it goes. First off, I have to ask you, are you okay with your voice being on the radio?

02:23:20 - 02:23:22 | Speaker 6:

If not, he won't win.

02:23:22 - 02:23:24 | Speaker 3:

Well, yes, pretty much.

02:23:25 - 02:23:26 | Speaker 6:

Okay, yeah, I'll stay on then for him.

02:23:27 - 02:23:29 | Speaker 3:

You're okay with your voice being on the radio?

02:23:29 - 02:23:30 | Speaker 6:

Yes.

02:23:30 - 02:23:44 | Speaker 3:

All right. Mom, the contest six on sex goes like this. We are going to ask Montez six very personal sex questions about him. And you have to just sit on the phone and listen.

02:23:45 - 02:23:53 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. And you told me for this, huh, Montez, for your sex questions. I really need to know about your sex life. Right.

02:23:54 - 02:24:00 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Are you ready, Mom? Yes. At any time, if you don't feel comfortable, you have every right to hang up the phone.

02:24:00 - 02:24:01 | Speaker 6:

Then he loses the tickets.

02:24:02 - 02:24:11 | Speaker 3:

Right. Then he loses the tickets. Okay. Question number one. Montez, what age did you lose your virginity?

02:24:12 - 02:24:12 | Speaker 4:

Fourteen.

02:24:14 - 02:24:15 | Speaker 3:

Fourteen?

02:24:15 - 02:24:16 | Speaker 4:

Wow, that's super young.

02:24:16 - 02:24:23 | Speaker 3:

Whoa. Did you know that, Mom? No. Okay, you're going to learn a few things about Montez today, okay?

02:24:24 - 02:24:24 | Speaker 6:

Yes, I am.

02:24:25 - 02:24:51 | Speaker 3:

Question number two, Montez. Have you ever had sex in your mom's bed? Oh, yes. I'm sorry, Montez. Yes. Oh, my God. Mom? Mm-hmm. Should I go to question number three Or would you like to make a comment to your son

02:24:51 - 02:24:54 | Speaker 6:

All right

02:24:54 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 3:

Question number three Montez Have you ever had sex with more than

02:25:00 - 02:25:02 | Speaker 2:

one girl in one day?

02:25:03 - 02:25:10 | Speaker 3:

Yes. How many girls? Three. Holy s**t. In how many hours, roughly?

02:25:11 - 02:25:15 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I mean, he was standing. I'd say roughly over maybe like a five-hour period.

02:25:16 - 02:25:17 | Speaker 3:

Oh, three girls in five hours. That's nothing.

02:25:17 - 02:25:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Three girls in five hours. All right, Mom, are you still there? Mm-hmm. Should I go to the next question? Mm-hmm. We are halfway done, everybody. We are halfway done. Question number four. Montez, have you ever had a threesome?

02:25:38 - 02:25:38 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

02:25:40 - 02:25:43 | Speaker 3:

And would your mom know the people that you had the threesome with?

02:25:44 - 02:25:44 | Speaker 2:

No.

02:25:44 - 02:25:46 | Speaker 4:

I had it when I went to Vegas.

02:25:47 - 02:25:49 | Speaker 2:

When you went to Vegas. So you paid for the threesome?

02:25:50 - 02:25:51 | Speaker 4:

No, actually it was free.

02:25:52 - 02:25:58 | Speaker 2:

Oh, it was free. Okay. Mom, at any time, you have every right to do whatever you want to do right now.

02:25:58 - 02:26:02 | Speaker 4:

Okay, go ahead. I'm just enjoying all of this information.

02:26:02 - 02:26:17 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Question number five. Just two more questions left in Six on Sex with Montez and his mom on the phone. Montez, do you have any sex toys? And if so, will you tell us what you have?

02:26:19 - 02:26:28 | Speaker 4:

I have a... I have a... I have a... I have... That is enough.

02:26:28 - 02:26:35 | Speaker 2:

Mom, do you want to hang up the phone or do you want to stay on the phone?

02:26:36 - 02:26:38 | Speaker 4:

That's enough to that. You can go to the next question.

02:26:39 - 02:26:42 | Speaker 3:

Were you done, Montez? Were there more? Or were you done?

02:26:42 - 02:26:43 | Speaker 4:

That's it, that's it, that's it.

02:26:43 - 02:26:58 | Speaker 2:

All right, okay. That's all right. That's all you need. That is all you need. And finally, the last question. Mom, are you still there? Yes. By the way, does Montez ever come visit you or do you guys ever see each other? Oh, yes. When's the last time you saw him?

02:26:58 - 02:27:00 | Speaker 1:

Oh, this morning. Oh, really?

02:27:01 - 02:27:03 | Speaker 3:

This morning? You go to visit her every day, Montez?

02:27:03 - 02:27:11 | Speaker 1:

Yes. He lives with you, Mom? Yes. Oh, for God's sakes. So that means all those toys are in your house? Uh, yeah.

02:27:13 - 02:27:43 | Speaker 2:

One last question, and then Mom needs to get off the phone, and she needs to call her best girlfriend and get some therapy, okay? What? Question number six, and six on sex, Montez. Okay. How many sexual partners do you think that you've had in your life? From 14 years old when you lost it, you told us, till this date right here, right now with Mojo in the Morning.

02:27:47 - 02:27:51 | Speaker 1:

Are you exhausted?

02:27:51 - 02:28:06 | Speaker 3:

No, not really. I'm pretty cool right now. What do you think about that, mom? I think he should not have used me for this survey. Is he going to get punished? Is he going to get sent to his room when you get home?

02:28:07 - 02:28:12 | Speaker 4:

Oh, boy, I have a real treat for him. I cannot tell you the treat I have in store.

02:28:13 - 02:28:16 | Speaker 2:

Hey, don't send him to his room. It sounds like he has too much fun in that place.

02:28:16 - 02:28:17 | Speaker 1:

Definitely, right?

02:28:18 - 02:28:20 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Montez is a winner, everybody.

02:28:21 - 02:28:25 | Speaker 4:

Thank you. I love you, Mama. I love you more, dear.

02:28:26 - 02:28:30 | Speaker 2:

The best thing about having this with your mom right now is that your mom has to love you.

02:28:31 - 02:28:33 | Speaker 4:

Yes, she does. I do? Well.

02:28:35 - 02:28:46 | Speaker 2:

How cute is that mom? Is she not the greatest? I love her. If you would like to be on 6 on Sex, text SEX to 95500, and we'll get you on.

02:28:46 - 02:28:52 | Speaker 4:

Six. On 6 on Sex. Mojo in the morning, 6 on 6.

02:28:52 - 02:29:49 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning. What do we got here now? I got a lot of stuff. Oh, hey. No, this is a good time to plug it. We have Breaking Enter and Christmas Wish starting next week. So we will start granting wishes. If you haven't sent a wish letter in to us yet, you can go to mojoswish.org and tell us who you would like to have a wish granted for, whether it be yourself or somebody else. Just make sure you give as much information as possible. Yesterday, Lydia and I were like private investigators. Weren't we, Lydia? We went through a lot. It was crazy. There's a letter that we really, really want to grant a wish for. And the person who wrote the letter didn't put their phone number on it. So Lydia is like, by the way, I've learned something about Lydia. If Lydia ever wanted to be a social media stalker, you could be a social media stalker. You were figuring out all the details about this person.

02:29:50 - 02:29:52 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I even messaged her on Facebook.

02:29:52 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 2:

You want Lydia as your friend. Remember yesterday on the show, you were talking, Shannon, about doing the deep dive?

02:29:59 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:30:00 - 02:30:30 | Speaker 1:

You want her deep diving because yesterday she was deep diving away to try to get this. So do me a favor. When you fill out these forms, they're pretty self-explanatory. Give us your phone number. Okay. Give us your phone number. Give us all the information. Make sure that you fill out all the boxes. Okay. I know it's weird to say this, but don't put the person that you want the wish granted for in your name category because we're going to call that person up and they're going to be like, I didn't send you a letter. You know what I mean? Like stuff like that.

02:30:31 - 02:30:34 | Speaker 3:

As my teachers would always say, help us help you.

02:30:36 - 02:31:01 | Speaker 1:

That's what it's like. Lydia's doing a great job, fabulous job. Lydia, who's our associate producer here on the show, and KP and Crystal and all these people that have just been awesome. Just good people. We got good people. We got good staff going on right now. This is a good little group we got going on here. Oh, next week's going to be crazy. Do you know how nervous I am for a Breaking Enter and Christmas wish?

02:31:02 - 02:31:02 | Speaker 2:

Are you?

02:31:03 - 02:31:27 | Speaker 1:

I get nervous every year because here's the thing. We're not playing with our money. We're playing with people's money. We throw in our donations, but the bigger donations come from a lot of people that want us to help out listeners. And we've got to make sure that we do this all right. And we've got to make sure that year after year we're able to get to people before, God forbid, something happens to them. We've had so many situations.

02:31:27 - 02:31:38 | Speaker 2:

remember that in the past last year we had one where we were going to grant a little boy's wish and we didn't we didn't get any past yeah and his family we ended up helping but it's just yeah it's

02:31:38 - 02:31:58 | Speaker 1:

very very difficult so uh get ready for that get ready for the tears get ready for the kleenex i still don't understand why with all the times we run commercials here on our show for what is the company that always runs the the charman charman yeah how is charman not advertised for this yet what's their commercial that they run all the time

02:31:58 - 02:32:03 | Speaker 3:

because literally people come in the studio and they always laugh that we have rolls of toilet paper by each of us for tissue

02:32:03 - 02:32:11 | Speaker 1:

what is it what is the one with the commercial we always laugh all the time shine your hiney yeah exactly

02:32:11 - 02:32:13 | Speaker 2:

the word hiney

02:32:13 - 02:32:52 | Speaker 1:

they should be seriously a sponsor so to speak of breaking and entering Christmas wish alright let's give out another pair of tickets Jingle Ball. I want you to text in the word jingle right now to 95500 and you could be going to our Jingle Ball, which ticket giveaway is powered by Monroe Street Midway. Find out more at deckedoutdetroit.com. 02:32:55 - 02:33:08 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to be. Nikki Yor. Do you realize when we go on Christmas break, I'm going to be in my head going, Backstreet Boys, McLemore, Tate McCray, Jax, Nikki Yor. So text 95500, text JINGLE now.

02:33:09 - 02:33:11 | Speaker 3:

Motor in the morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:33:11 - 02:33:13 | Speaker 1:

All right, Shannon, what you got in this hour's Dirty on the 30?

02:33:13 - 02:33:49 | Speaker 2:

Well, Jay Leno discharged from the hospital yesterday. You might have seen the photos of him standing there with two nurses from that burn center where he has been recovering for the past 10 days, looking very happy, very healthy, but you can see the scars up his neck, on the side of his face, on his arm. He went through two grafting procedures to remove unhealthy tissue from that car fire and promote healing. Doctors said he will make a full recovery. I know his good friend, Tim Allen, who visited him in the hospital a couple of times, by the way, was hanging out with Jimmy Fallon last night, giving fans an update.

02:33:49 - 02:34:04 | Speaker 4:

I get interviewed, and they said he looks terrible. I said, well, he generally didn't look that good to begin with. He looks really good, considering the graphs he's got. The picture today, it is amazing what they can do. The hospital did a great job. We hope speed of recovery, Jay. We love you, bud.

02:34:04 - 02:34:18 | Speaker 2:

So why are we taking pictures of celebrities as they're leaving the hospital? Well, this was like a photo. It looks like a photo op. Like, he posed for these photos with the nurses. It was with the nurses. Yeah, it wasn't like a paparazzi photo. Don't worry. They still will do that. Yeah, yeah. No.

02:34:19 - 02:34:29 | Speaker 1:

He actually, I will say this about it. He, they say, is like one of the nicest people in the world. The nurses and the doctors all said he was so amazing to the kids.

02:34:29 - 02:34:33 | Speaker 2:

To the kids. That were in this burn unit. He was having cookies delivered and, yeah. Yeah.

02:34:33 - 02:34:38 | Speaker 1:

It's the benefit of having a celebrity in your hospital. It's like you get all the benefits of what they get.

02:34:38 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 2:

Kanye West was a no-show for a scheduled deposition in his divorce from Kim Kardashian. Yes, that's still going on in case you weren't wondering. court documents filed earlier this week note he didn't appear for the november 16th meeting so they kind of are giving him a second chance here he's been given another opportunity to sit for a deposition at kim's attorney's office

02:35:00 - 02:35:38 | Speaker 4:

Laura Wasser as her divorce attorney next week, so on November 29th. Now, if he fails to show up for that meeting, the issue of whether he'll be permitted to offer any testimony at all, whether oral or written, will be heard by the judge before the former couple's trial begins. Speaking of Kanye, Julia Fox, the uncut Gems actress that he dated very briefly after splitting from Kim, is now talking. And I love the story that she's telling. She said the only reason that she really wanted to date Kanye was she thought she could be helpful in distracting him from harassing Kim Kardashian.

02:35:38 - 02:35:48 | Speaker 3:

First of all, the man was being normal around me. By the time me and him got together, it was like he hadn't been doing anything, you know, like out there yet.

02:35:49 - 02:35:50 | Speaker 4:

There's more from Julia.

02:35:50 - 02:36:09 | Speaker 3:

And I had this thought and I was like, oh my God, maybe I can get him off Kim's case. Like, maybe I can distract him, like, just get him to like me. And I will say that that month that we spent together, he wasn't on Twitter. First of all, he wasn't on any forms of social media. He didn't even talk about his relationship.

02:36:10 - 02:36:11 | Speaker 1:

Where's her Nobel Peace Prize?

02:36:11 - 02:36:14 | Speaker 4:

Well, she said as soon as he got back on Twitter, that's when things got kind of messy.

02:36:15 - 02:36:30 | Speaker 3:

The moment he started tweeting, I was out. And that's the thing. It's like, I'd already been like, dude, I'm not going to stick around for this. And also, I realized pretty quickly that he wasn't going to take my help. I was like, I want to help him. I want to help him. But anyway, I was delusional. I thought I could help him.

02:36:30 - 02:36:48 | Speaker 4:

You don't want to help him. You wanted a new wardrobe and a little bit of publicity. Yes, ma'am. Okay. All right. And while we're talking about her, Kim Kardashian is being called out by her fans over her One Size Fits All microthong from her Skims line, which retails for $14. Okay.

02:36:49 - 02:36:50 | Speaker 1:

Is it not One Size Fits All?

02:36:50 - 02:37:30 | Speaker 4:

This little, itty, itty, bitty piece of fabric that's held together with literally a string. It barely covers her Christmas in the photo on the Skims website. So fans are saying, wait a minute. If it barely fits Kim, who's pretty teeny, it's unlikely to fit women of all shapes and sizes as it claims to do, coming in sizes extra, extra small, all the way up to 4X. I love that one fan posted, that's not a thong, it's an eye patch. because that's literally what it looks like. An iPad on for private. For all of today's Dirty, and you can see what I'm talking about, go to the Dirty page at mojointhemorning.com. Sure.

02:37:31 - 02:37:41 | Speaker 5:

02:37:56 - 02:37:59 | Speaker 1:

We'll do a senseless survey Let's see how many questions Spike can get out

02:37:59 - 02:38:07 | Speaker 2:

You guys, you guys, you guys, great news It's time for an official government survey And when we mean official We mean we're officially full of s***

02:38:07 - 02:38:10 | Speaker 5:

This country is going to s***

02:38:10 - 02:38:12 | Speaker 4:

You got it on Mojo

02:38:12 - 02:38:14 | Speaker 2:

This Mojo in the morning senseless survey

02:38:14 - 02:38:30 | Speaker 1:

Hello Hello, sir. This is Bob Dabalina-Cohen. We're just asking a few American citizens some consumer questions about Thanksgiving and also remind you to pay your homeowner's insurance premium before you try deep frying that turkey in the garage. Do you have a second for some questions?

02:38:32 - 02:38:34 | Speaker 5:

I'm supposed to be on the do not call list.

02:38:34 - 02:38:52 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, we're not selling anything, so you don't have to worry about that. It's just a government survey, and if you answer the three questions, then we'll actually be giving you something in return as a thank you. Okay, make it quick. Will you be skipping dessert in any quality time to actually participate in any doorbuster sales? Or are you un-American?

02:38:53 - 02:38:53 | Speaker 5:

Uh, no.

02:38:54 - 02:39:00 | Speaker 1:

Would you agree that the best thing about Thanksgiving is that all the people who drive you most crazy are all in one room together?

02:39:00 - 02:39:03 | Speaker 5:

You're saying this is a government survey?

02:39:03 - 02:39:21 | Speaker 1:

Well, we're just trying to get an eye on what consumers are doing this holiday season. Just one more. If you didn't see a racist uncle at your Thanksgiving, does that mean you were the racist uncle? No. And what's the probability that you'll be having pumpkin pie for breakfast in your underwear standing over the kitchen sink on Friday morning?

02:39:22 - 02:39:25 | Speaker 5:

Probably about 99% chance.

02:39:25 - 02:39:30 | Speaker 1:

Do you think we should just serve cranberry sauce in a trash can since that's where it's going to end up anyway?

02:39:31 - 02:39:34 | Speaker 5:

You said three questions, my friend.

02:39:34 - 02:39:50 | Speaker 1:

Okay, well, let me just get the last one through because I forgot about this one. Do you think it's BS we're supposed to be thankful for this big turkey feast when they had T-bone steak at the same grocery store? No. Have you ever tried the sexy move in the bedroom known as pardoning the turkey?

02:39:51 - 02:39:52 | Speaker 5:

I think we're all done here.

02:39:53 - 02:39:57 | Speaker 1:

Great. And is Thanksgiving your favorite holiday to shove stale bread up a dead bird's ass?

02:39:57 - 02:39:58 | Speaker 5:

Oh, Jesus.

02:40:00 - 02:40:07 | Speaker 2:

There are these people, Spike, that for some reason never seem to, even though they seem like they're going to break up or they're going to get split up or divorce. And then they're together all the time.

02:41:17 - 02:42:10 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'd like a little advice from listeners on this because I don't know how to help her. But we had a bunch of friends come over to the house this weekend and one of the girls has been dating this guy for two years. And she's, you know, grown distant and she's been trying to break up with him. And they'll have a talk and they'll mutually agree to split up. And then he'll call the next day wanting to get together for dinner or drinks or a movie or whatever. And then she ends up giving in to him because she always feels guilty. And then the cycle starts all over again. They just can't end it. They always end up back together. She'll break up and then they're back together. And now we're getting into the holidays and I know he will string her along because she doesn't want to be alone over Christmas. And I don't know what advice I could give her. Like, how do you make the breakup stick? How do you point out to your friend? Like, this is tiring. We're watching this again and again. You keep breaking up because you say he's not for you. and then you get back together.

02:42:11 - 02:42:17 | Speaker 2:

Did they both come over to your place this weekend? No, no, just her this time. Because they're broken up now?

02:42:17 - 02:43:09 | Speaker 1:

Well, no, then she was telling us how they're back together again, and everybody just kind of gives each other a look and rolls their eyes like, here we go. It's got to be very confusing for friends and family, right? Yeah, well, by the fifth or sixth time, you just... And frustrating. Yeah, it's frustrating because you want to help and be like, you know this guy's not good for you, and you know you get to the point where you say you're going to break up or you actually do break up but it never sticks they always end up back together and it's like people have taken every measure possible like as soon as they break up i've had some of the girlfriends will try and introduce her to other guys right away help break the cycle what you've said on the air before mojo sometimes the best way to get over someone is to get under someone well do they ever do that no it doesn't work oh so they've actually gone and dated other people i think and i think he has gone out and dated other people but she always she's fine with them yeah she'll come back she'll take him back and i'm like well

02:43:09 - 02:43:47 | Speaker 2:

she's obviously just wants the relationship for the convenience of it it seems like like she's complacent familiarity so it's interesting that you bring you bring this up because it is the holidays and it is a tough time to to break up with someone and i think that the holidays either can make it worse or it's sometimes that makes a relationship better and maybe what ends up happening is they end up making up maybe there's a pattern to this maybe it's the time of the year yeah but maybe they they they're bad with each other and then all of a sudden they come together in the holidays and everything's nice and they realize what they would miss if they weren't together and then next thing you know it's like holidays are over with and then they're bad again

02:43:47 - 02:44:05 | Speaker 1:

well and they do this like two or three times a year one's always around the holidays but i always think like they're not bad people both of them are decent humans they're just not good together and the fact is they both know they're not good together but they both end up you know their flight patterns end up back together at some, they just can't seem to break it off permanently.

02:44:06 - 02:44:09 | Speaker 2:

Tiger? Yeah. Is your name really Tiger?

02:44:11 - 02:44:15 | Speaker 3:

That's a great name passed on from four generations ago. Really?

02:44:15 - 02:44:19 | Speaker 2:

Were you Tiger Woods, or were you Tiger before Tiger Woods was Tiger Woods?

02:44:20 - 02:44:22 | Speaker 3:

It was actually Wood Tiger.

02:44:22 - 02:44:26 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really? Okay. What's going on, Tiger? I feel weird calling a guy Tiger. Hey, Tiger.

02:44:26 - 02:44:46 | Speaker 3:

so uh it's the same process with my current wife i was 14 she was 13 at the time we were dating in high school we go on and off you know we're kids people are like oh you're not gonna make it if you keep breaking up and you're kids you don't know what's going on today i'm 20 years old she is

02:44:46 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 2:

19 we got married and we're living living very happy really so wait a second are you guys still going through the process of issues with each other though like you're happy now but are you guys have you when's the last

02:45:00 - 02:45:11 | Speaker 3:

you guys had problems with each other i'm glad to say it's not an issue anymore i guess it was just a long distance then why did you then tiger hey tiger why did you say with my current wife

02:45:11 - 02:45:17 | Speaker 2:

whenever anybody says that i always go wait a second so what's the story here are you not

02:45:17 - 02:45:28 | Speaker 3:

planning on being together wife gonna be well you never know what happens but she is my current wife i plan to keep her until death do us part but my current wife that is funny i didn't even

02:45:28 - 02:45:54 | Speaker 1:

catch that well you know your situation is similar to theirs it's similar to remember eminem and his ex-wife and unfortunately they you know is at the height of marshall's career so everything played out very publicly but you have such a long history as childhood lovers that it just continues you go back to each other again and again and family some family thinks you're good for each other wants it to work others don't so sometimes it takes years and years to figure it out here's

02:45:54 - 02:46:00 | Speaker 2:

here's an issue though an issue is like in his case they were 13 14 years old your friends are

02:46:00 - 02:46:14 | Speaker 1:

how old oh they're like 36 37 okay yeah they're not childhood right that's that's uh that's they met i think they met at a job like they were they worked together after college so yeah you know

02:46:14 - 02:46:34 | Speaker 2:

what's weird is it's weird uh when people you you know like you're you'll talk to people and they'll be like, yeah, you know, we're not, we're not together or we're not, we're separated or whatever it is. And then they'll, you, you see them together and you're like, God, I want to ask them the question, like what's going on with them. But you don't, if you know them long enough,

02:46:34 - 02:47:01 | Speaker 1:

it's fatiguing, you know, like I always admire those couples that work through stuff and try and work through stuff privately. It's, it's hard because you do want to share with friends and you want to talk things out and you want to commiserate but then what happens is if you constantly complain about the person to other all your friends stuff they get tired because then you don't listen to your own advice you know it's a problem you keep going back to them yes tatum hi hi yeah that's

02:47:01 - 02:47:05 | Speaker 4:

totally true my mom always said don't ever tell your parents anything about your relationship

02:47:05 - 02:47:11 | Speaker 2:

because you'll hate them forever yeah yeah when you're struggling or something yeah it's not a

02:47:11 - 02:48:05 | Speaker 4:

good idea yeah but i noticed and i was saying how i've noticed and i'm the same way when guys were younger and we were in relationships and stuff we like girls always got hurt through high school guys were such like you know no offense like men but they were dumb and they ended up cheating on us and screwing us over and then we would always take them back if we wanted that twilight love you know like that doesn't exist but every girl thinks it does and then now all the men want the relationships and now the girls are like like done with them and now all the men want to settle down as they get older so all the men are wanting to get married and now the women are all independent damn like screw that right because women mature a lot sooner than men do that's for sure exactly but it's happening with a lot of my friends they're like over it they're like i mean you guys you guys threw this over i mean you guys had your chance yeah now we want to

02:48:05 - 02:48:10 | Speaker 2:

be independent we don't want to listen to men uh thank you for the call tatum what's up rob

02:48:10 - 02:48:24 | Speaker 3:

morning mojo morning hi uh my mom and my sisters always told us my wife and i that we would not last six months because of our age difference there's only like five years between us

02:48:24 - 02:48:40 | Speaker 1:

and halloween we celebrated 30 years wow and how many times did you break up between now and then Never. Oh, okay. So you've fought the odds. Well, that's not really this situation. Yeah, that's not bad.

02:48:40 - 02:48:43 | Speaker 3:

It's great, though. It's amazing to hear.

02:48:43 - 02:48:48 | Speaker 2:

Early in your relationship, everybody thought you wouldn't be together. You guys are still together. That's nice. Good for you.

02:48:48 - 02:48:53 | Speaker 3:

Yep, and I tell everybody that's the longest six months of my life.

02:48:54 - 02:48:55 | Speaker 2:

What do you think she sees in you?

02:48:57 - 02:49:04 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I've done so many things wrong. I thought she was going to leave, but she didn't.

02:49:04 - 02:49:06 | Speaker 2:

What's the worst thing you did?

02:49:08 - 02:49:19 | Speaker 3:

Seven years ago, I took a 20-foot ball off a ladder and broke my back, and it just sat there, and every time I turned around, it just felt like I was failing at stuff.

02:49:19 - 02:49:40 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's nice that she didn't leave you when you fell off of a ladder. I mean, I'm thinking, like, you know, you fell off of a ladder into another girl. You know what I mean? We don't know that she didn't try to push him off that ladder Yeah, that's true That's true All right, buddy Well, you go be happy, all right Love on your day

02:49:40 - 02:49:45 | Speaker 3:

All right Until we're struggling for calls

02:49:45 - 02:49:47 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Jordan?

02:49:49 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 3:

So I had a friend in high school That always did the same thing Break up pretty much on a weekly basis And they finally quit when my team does the goal.

02:50:00 - 02:50:09 | Speaker 6:

and we beat him to it and go yeah we know he broke out oh geez yeah yeah well unfortunately

02:50:09 - 02:50:25 | Speaker 1:

it's like the girl that cried wolf after a while too like you want to be a good friend and be there for them and care and try to like you know help them through it but after the fourth or fifth time you're like all right i mean i don't have the energy anymore i think they did like eight

02:50:25 - 02:50:33 | Speaker 6:

times and we're like okay maybe after four we're just kind of like yeah we're done yeah thank you

02:50:33 - 02:51:29 | Speaker 5:

for the call jordan happy thanksgiving we'll see you yep you too bud bye all right uh let me get to trending the morning's top trending stories top trending stories of the day this audio is wild all right i'm gonna play this for you so you guys heard of the horrible uh tragedy that took place in Colorado Springs at the gay club where a guy went in there, a nutbag went in there and shot up the place. And then we found out, this is wild, that the guy was making threats against his mother, threatening to blow up his mom's house. And because his mother wouldn't press charges and the prosecutor wouldn't just override and just say, all right, we got to put this guy down as not stable enough, the guy ended up getting a gun. because of that which is a frustrating system failed in that this is like the simple red flag

02:51:29 - 02:51:42 | Speaker 2:

laws they talk about where people who have a history and a past and a criminal record can't just walk in and and colorado's been very resistant to use those red flag laws so there is

02:51:42 - 02:52:15 | Speaker 5:

a a happy story to this and a happy story in the tragedy of five people dying but did you hear about the army veteran who they say saved the day oh my god his story is amazing he's a hero his name is richard fierro he's a 15 year army veteran who was a patron at the club q in colorado springs when he subdued the gunman when that gunman came in and started opening fire killing five people and wounding dozens of others and he spoke for the first time about this and

02:52:15 - 02:52:44 | Speaker 4:

why he did this and this guy was there and i saw the acu pattern uh flag vest and for me that was like there's a handle i'm getting it grab the handle pulled him down and then his rifle flew in front of him i proceeded to take his other weapon the pistol and then just start hitting him where i could with his gun i was in mode i was trained i trained for this i don't want to ever do this i was done doing this stuff it was too much i i'm you know it came in handy it's amazing

02:52:44 - 02:52:57 | Speaker 5:

So all the training that he learned when he was in the army, it just got into him and said, all right, I got to do this thing. It's fight or flight. Fiero's daughter's boyfriend died, and two of his friends were shot that night.

02:52:57 - 02:53:05 | Speaker 4:

And I got to protect my kid. I lost my kid's boyfriend. I tried. I tried to have everybody in there. I still feel bad that there's five people.

02:53:08 - 02:53:18 | Speaker 3:

There's five people that didn't come home. this guy i told him while i was eating i said i'm gonna kill you man because you tried to kill my

02:53:18 - 02:54:04 | Speaker 2:

friends my family was in there it's so sad his family went uh because his daughters one of his daughter's friends was doing their there was a first time in the drag show and they all went to support the kid and and his daughter's boyfriend ended up losing their his life and And he said he was trying to, as he was hitting the guy with his own gun, trying to subdue him and keep him on the ground, he started yelling for everybody else in the area. Somebody stop, you know, help me. And he said one of the drag queens came over and started stomping the guy, the gunman, in his face with her high heels because they were trying to stop him from getting up again. And when the police came, at first there was confusion because there's the Army veteran all covered in blood, and they detained him for a second before they realized he was the hero.

02:54:05 - 02:54:26 | Speaker 4:

This kid that was helping me was kicking another human in the head, and I told him to do it. I don't know what to do, you know? There was a beautiful, one of the performers was walking by when the kid was getting tired of kicking, and she helped and kicked him with the high heels that she had on and then ran because she's probably scared.

02:54:26 - 02:54:53 | Speaker 5:

i don't know what's going on in there that's wild just a wild story um and very very sad story in our prayers to uh to everyone in colorado springs last night they had a vigil there's there's a a church that um many in the lgbtq plus community goes to and they had a vigil last night and they said people came from all over the country to go to it last night you talk about a hero that he was

02:54:53 - 02:55:00 | Speaker 2:

obviously trained through the military for to take action but you don't know in that situation if there are others what's happening at this

02:55:00 - 02:55:09 | Speaker 1:

second you don't know and it was thank god he took action a lot of people found out on social media that he owns a brewery in the area and everybody's been flooding the merch section buying trying to

02:55:09 - 02:56:20 | Speaker 2:

buy out his entire supply to thank him americans plan to buy fewer christmas gifts and donate less to charity this year because of the cost of everything kind of going crazy uh the they say that the average person normally will buy about nine gifts this year compared to about 16 last year. So they are drastically changing their spending. And as far as charitable donations are concerned, there's many organizations that say that they're being really hurt hard because of the lack of donations that are coming in. And one of the other things that the economy has kind of change things up with um people are tipping less so fewer customers are tipping 20 which is causing for some businesses to say that they may just put the tip in it's kind of a very european thing i guess have you ever gone down to florida to miami at all and a lot of restaurants will put the tip already on there because they'll have a lot of european travelers that will come there are a few that do it here now too and they don't well they're saying this is becoming more and more prominent because they say that the average person now is tipping 15 to 18 percent yeah instead of

02:56:20 - 02:56:36 | Speaker 3:

the the typical 20 percent right it's crazy that happened to me the other day where i i was at like a little coffee breakfasty place and i was like i'm gonna give them a really nice tip today i'm just feeling like super generous so i did and then the girl was like there was already 15 percent

02:56:36 - 02:56:59 | Speaker 1:

added i was like oh well they got a really great tip right but they it's sad but you have to say this again if you can't afford to go out and eat and pay for it don't go out because you're saying well times are hard for me right now with the economy well so they are for the servers too so they rely they do not get a full hourly wage they rely on those tips here so you have to take care

02:56:59 - 02:57:14 | Speaker 2:

of them i think a lot more restaurants are going to start closing though because people just can't afford to go yeah um and the cost of things are gone up i still don't know how it is that restaurants are still cheaper than going to a store and buying like a meal is just seems like

02:57:14 - 02:57:31 | Speaker 1:

it's it's a lot more affordable i've been shocked have you guys been out i've been shocked at how crowded the restaurants are right now and i know some of it is that it's taken a little longer because they don't have the full weight staff but like i found an old gift card and i went to a restaurant in troy and i was like oh my gosh they had like a three-hour wait and the place

02:57:31 - 02:58:21 | Speaker 2:

was packed on a wednesday night uh cpr mannequins aren't diverse enough and when before you make judgment on this know that they say that 90 of cpr mannequins are male they're they're white males well they said that it's causing for people who are taking cpr classes to actually not be able to learn cpr the right way to do on women or people who are fat so now they're trying to come up with with mannequins that will become more you know real real yeah which by the way fat mannequins that that's the thing it's interesting so people don't know where to do any cpr because the they don't have no idea where exactly to push because the mannequin that they tested on was uh was much skinnier i would have never thought of that thank god i've never been

02:58:21 - 02:58:34 | Speaker 1:

in a situation to have to give cpr to someone but if it was a woman i don't know in this in your like your natural reaction is do i don't want to press really hard on your breast but i don't know the exact spot because like you said you learn on a male dummy underneath the rib cage right

02:58:34 - 03:00:00 | Speaker 2:

uh the words that are the most searched slang words in 2022 can you guess what the top two are slang what's that cap i just i'm trying to think of parents who don't know what their kids are right cap cap is actually one of the words that's unbelievable which which means to lie or exaggerate good for you megan um the two that's actually number three number one karen topped the list of the most googled slang terms they still don't know what karen is or do you think they're just looking for great videos karen trying to figure it out um woke was the second most popular and simp and uh and uh simp and sus and sus and cap yeah yeah those are the most uh the most google smith always tells me you are sus i'm like okay and i want to end on this one because i think megan's got a got a story to relate with this gen z schedules crying sessions so crying is trendy among young millennials where young millennials including this tiktoker that's really famous uh rita bulgen says that uh they actually she schedules crying sessions when she's actually going to cry because every

03:00:00 - 03:00:15 | Speaker 4:

Every now and again, she says that you need a good cry. And Megan, we found out when we were having our pre-show meeting today, Megan actually likes to do a good cry and actually turns to a movie to do this.

03:00:15 - 03:00:55 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I don't know if I schedule crying, but if I notice, and this might be psychopathic behavior, if there are therapists listening, please tell me what this means. If I haven't cried in a while, I feel like I need to get it out and just cry just to feel better. Yeah. This is me once a week. But I will throw on specifically the movie P.S. I Love You because it makes me cry for about an hour and 15 minutes out of the entire movie. And I'll just get it all out. And then let's be honest, the best sleep of your life is the sleep you have after a really good cry. Not entirely sure why my body is disrespectful enough to give me puffy eyes the next morning. We've had plenty of time to sleep this off.

03:00:55 - 03:00:56 | Speaker 4:

Who's in P.S. I Love You?

03:00:57 - 03:01:01 | Speaker 5:

Gerard Butler, I believe, and then Hilary Swank.

03:01:01 - 03:01:04 | Speaker 4:

Really? So you turned that movie on just to cry?

03:01:05 - 03:01:25 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God, yes, because it is the saddest movie in the entire world, and nobody will ever love me. It's really about how I've never been loved. And then I just get it all out And then I feel better But if I haven't cried in like a couple of weeks I'll turn something on just to cry

03:01:25 - 03:01:31 | Speaker 8:

Is it sad that I don't even need a movie to cry Because I just cry so much in my real life That I don't need a movie

03:01:31 - 03:01:45 | Speaker 4:

For me, I find myself Just having like crazy momentary times Where I start crying It can just be like a mom Talking to their child out in public And just like talking to them

03:01:45 - 03:01:46 | Speaker 8:

I feel so emotionally sane

03:01:46 - 03:01:59 | Speaker 4:

It's crazy. Yes. But what's your cry? What's your go-to for a good cry? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Are you a crier? Good morning.

03:02:00 - 03:02:01 | Speaker 7:

Good morning.

03:02:01 - 03:02:02 | Speaker 4:

Hi.

03:02:02 - 03:02:20 | Speaker 7:

I was calling because I am a therapist, and I do the same thing that Megan does. It's like schedule time to cry to a sad movie. Really? What's your movie choice? Oh, thank God. uh usually it's terms of endearment or still magnolias oh my gosh yeah those are good

03:02:20 - 03:02:26 | Speaker 4:

that do you do you also cry for songs too like these are certain songs that you can hear on the

03:02:26 - 03:02:33 | Speaker 7:

radio that you'll go no i mean maybe i mean maybe cats in the cradle back in the day no you don't

03:02:33 - 03:02:40 | Speaker 4:

even you don't cry at every bett middler song come on i don't no no i listen to the radio station

03:02:40 - 03:02:43 | Speaker 7:

I know, I'm just kidding

03:02:43 - 03:02:50 | Speaker 4:

Well you said Steel Magnolias And Terms of Endearment So I'm going back No, I get it, yeah, those are good movies

03:02:50 - 03:03:08 | Speaker 3:

A Star is Born, the Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga That made me cry But then for me, it's always the animated movies And I try and hide it when you're watching with kids Like Coco Oh my god Have you ever seen the movie Onward? Where they're trying to find me That movie got me so good

03:03:08 - 03:03:21 | Speaker 5:

You need the me before you's Like, you guys are thinking, oh, that's a cute little sad movie. I'm talking, this is going to wreck you emotionally. My heart is breaking. Marley and Me, I Am Sam, those kind of movies.

03:03:22 - 03:03:27 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Cheyenne? Yes. Hi, you put a movie on for a good cry?

03:03:28 - 03:03:40 | Speaker 6:

No, I don't, but I'm a mental health worker, and I know Megan said she thinks it's psychopathic, but it's actually a great coping skill that people use to release emotions in a healthy way. I encouraged it 100%.

03:03:40 - 03:03:46 | Speaker 4:

See, Megan, nothing wrong with that. What do you do for crying? You don't do anything for crying?

03:03:47 - 03:03:49 | Speaker 7:

Oh, I got TikTok videos. Oh.

03:03:52 - 03:04:11 | Speaker 8:

Everybody's texting from scratch on Netflix, which I just started watching, and it's scaring me because I'm not to any sad parts yet. But they say that it's gut-wrenchingly devastating. So if you're looking for a good cry and you've got a few days off because of the holiday week from scratch, It's starting off very, very good. All right.
