Dude, his whole life has sounded like the first drop of a roller coaster.

00:01:19 - 00:01:24 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I can't even tell you, Paul, how crazy he was. It was insane.

I'm Mange Shatigular, and I'm back with a new season of my podcast, Skyline Drive. This time I talk to scientists, biopunks, curmudgeons, blues owners, super seniors, and Goa's top cryotherapy lab to try to understand this obsession with living forever and what it means for all of us. And I get into a bit of trouble along the way.

00:01:49 - 00:01:55 | Speaker 1:

I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. Make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know.

00:01:55 - 00:02:01 | Speaker 5:

Listen to Skyline Drive, How to Live Forever on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

It's showtime!

00:02:53 - 00:03:38 | Speaker 7:

good morning and welcome to the morning show oh hey hold on a second here what's going on do i I got something in my ears. Do I have? Oh, that's me. Happy Thanksgiving week. It's going to be a good week. It shows potatoes, gravy and cranberry sauce. Are we excited? Are we excited over the fact that the Lions victors again yesterday?

00:03:40 - 00:03:41 | Speaker 2:

Actually, I can't believe it. Yes.

00:03:42 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 7:

Is this not feel weird that we go into games and if we don't like beat teams to the point where they're beaten to submission. We feel like we've not accomplished what we needed to accomplish. Like, I was like, why are we so close to these guys yesterday? You know, the Colts. And actually, the Colts, I felt like they were getting Jared Goff a little too much yesterday.

00:04:03 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 2:

Do you know that was the first time I accidentally took a nap during a Lions game, and I woke up not stressed? I woke up in a good mood. I saw that score, and I went, we good, baby? That looked like a home game, by the way.

00:04:13 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my God.

00:04:14 - 00:04:17 | Speaker 2:

There's so many Lions fans there, which you've got to love.

00:04:17 - 00:04:51 | Speaker 7:

And there were. I mean, it was wild. Actually, Crystal from our marketing department was there. I saw that. That was pretty cool. The other thing, too, is, you know, God, you're talking about taking naps. I feel like all I wanted was a nap this weekend because we were so busy. We were, like, all over everywhere from Toledo to Detroit to mid. I was actually did a quick trip, like, just outside East Lansing. And I filled up my gas tank twice this weekend Which was wild That's how much drive-in I was doing

00:04:51 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 2:

Did you fill it down in Toledo?

00:04:53 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 7:

I did not

00:04:54 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 2:

Why is it much cheaper? Significantly

00:04:58 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 7:

Oh gosh

00:05:00 - 00:05:01 | Speaker 1:

Now I'm going to drive to Toledo for gas.

00:05:01 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 2:

Do you know when I'm real low and I'm going home, I'll put like $5 to $10 in my tank here and then I fill up down there? Like, I'm not paying more for gas.

00:05:09 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 1:

Well, we thank you to everybody that came out to our toy-a-thon. That was actually fun. That was a really good time to get to hang out. Did a little shopping, too. Ended up buying myself a new phone. I needed a phone because my phone wasn't working with this control board. So I ended up slipping away and went to the Apple Store. Which, by the way, thank you to everybody at the Apple Store in Franklin Park. mall i the by the way so many listeners oh my god it was crazy i had one guy say to me they went at the apple store he's like hey i think i might be able to get you a discount on this one i listen every single morning i was like yes that doesn't happen at 12 oaks for me um i also heard if i'm not mistaken i heard that shannon uh might need to apologize to the franklin park mall bathroom

00:05:56 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 3:

police oh my god well yes i i think i think the bathroom is unscathed but my hand is not we all know i have a teeny tiny temper just a little bit of a temper you guys let me jump on

00:06:12 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 1:

me no no let me prove that for everybody here this is just proof i will eff you up bitch

00:06:18 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 3:

i try to not let it come out very often but megan and i were in the bathroom just like having a a conversation about something and clearly i got very very fired up about the subject matter at hand and i had washed my hands and you know the paper towel holders that have the sensor so like a sheet comes out and if you need more than a sheet gotta wave your hand over the sensor and then another sheet comes out the damn thing like one piece of a corner of a sheet came out and i could see it was full but nothing else was coming out so i finally banged on that thing so hard i'm I'm not joking. I think I broke my pinky finger. Really?

00:06:57 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 2:

Bing, bing, bing. The way I snapped out of whatever we were talking about and just started dying laughing because I've heard about the legendary temper, but to see it so quickly. You've never witnessed it live? No, I have, but just so quickly erupt out of nowhere. That's what it sounded like. It was just a loud noise, and I immediately went from whatever I was feeling before to just a bubble of laughter that was uncontrollable.

00:07:26 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 1:

What were you thinking when you're banging on it? You're thinking that it will straighten all the rest of the paper out and make the thing come out a little more?

00:07:33 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 3:

I wasn't thinking. It was pure rage. If you've seen the movie Inside Out, I was anger in that moment. There were flames coming out of my head. Really?

00:07:42 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 2:

Honestly, I wouldn't expect that much power. I thought if you and I ever got into a fist fight, sorry, but I'd kick your ass. I don't know about that. This is the first time where I was like, I don't think it would be super easy. I was like, that had some force behind it.

00:07:56 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 1:

So did you get it to fix? Like, was it, or did you just pull it right off the wall? Of course, you bang on something and it works.

00:08:02 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 3:

Is that what it is? Yeah.

00:08:03 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 1:

I always feel like that's the thing, the motto for anything. You either bang on it or you plug and unplug it.

00:08:09 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 3:

Right, turn it off and turn it on.

00:08:10 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 1:

Like, yeah, you don't need much more than that. And you've done this in the past. Like, I've seen you get a little angry with certain things around here, and I've seen you kind of like pop them on the thing.

00:08:20 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 3:

I think I'm just, like, I don't know if it's that time of the month or, because I don't, TMI, I don't get a period anymore, but I think it's probably that time of the month. And because Saturday night, then, I met you all for the Wings game at LCA, and we walked in that Google entrance. And, of course, you have to, like, show them, you know, what the contents of your purse. So I had this little crossbody purse on, and it has this funky magnet. You, like, push in the two sides of it. yeah and then it's supposed to pop open and the lady wanted to check my bag and i couldn't get the dang thing open and i'm trying and trying and trying west is like here let me help you i'm like no and i take it and i just rip it open broke my purse twice in one day wow came out so your own

00:09:06 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 1:

personal belongings you'll do this with because i i try broken i try not to break my own personal things but i'll break anybody else's other stuff right dang it i really liked that purse can't use it again by the way this is rage that i don't know if wes has ever seen in the in the time has he yeah oh okay and he's still around i'm making sure that he doesn't like run at all from from any of this stuff wes it gets crazy you got to be such a nice man well my favorite part of the

00:09:34 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 2:

paper towel thing was immediately i was like well i have a i have a trick that i can show you and it didn't work for me i just turned around and i sucked it yeah then she sucked it wait what's

00:09:43 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 1:

your what is your trick what did what is your trick to get that because i always i feel like the sensor things not so much that how they pull out i always feel like i can't get the water sensors to work for me when i'm in a bathroom or the sensor to give me more paper towel and then i'll start walking out of the bathroom and the thing will go it back down so it won't give you more people to paper towel oh you guys i need that coffee to get here faster than it is um it won't give you more paper towel until you've ripped it but you don't have to rip it you can slightly pull on it and the sensor thinks that you've ripped off the paper

00:10:15 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 4:

towel so you can get a longer piece okay all right um and by the way they're the more you know they're not very good at giving you a lot of paper towel that's that's the one thing i hate i hate those things i think that's their goal is they think that you can don't they understand we all have fat hands we need we need to dry our fat hands um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 in moments of rage because you couldn't get something to work what did you like you know pull off the wall or what did you break um you'll have to call us up and tell us what was the victim of your rage uh i think that the uh the girls in the other room are uh are lydia and kp are trying to get the producer's room to work, because I'm watching them on the screen right now in the other room, and they both look relatively angry over it. Oh, so you should just punch something. Yeah. What are you guys, what are you guys doing in there? Is everything okay? Can you guys get that stuff going or no? Can they hear us? Is it all breaking or what's this? Because I

00:11:14 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 2:

f***ing hate you! I mean, they're

00:11:16 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 4:

in the other room trying to figure it out. It's a Monday. It is a Monday. Is our phone lines, are they working? 844-MOJO-LIVE. Will you just call and just let us know that they're available, because we came in the studio this morning and there was all kinds of stuff that was different. It's like we left over the weekend and I think that we had families that were camping out in our studio or something because it was completely different than I was used to from just being here a couple of days last week. Kev is out this morning. By the way, Kev was not feeling well over the weekend. He needed to rest up and he was sick and then he took today as a day off. he's going to be chaperoning Josiah's field trip. So he may call and check in on his way doing the field trip, but that would actually be kind of cool, wouldn't it, to have Kev as your chaperone? He'd be the fun one. Yeah. Like the fun one that everybody wants to be in his group. Mojo in the morning, hi. Is there anybody there? Is our phone line working? Yes, it is. Hi, who is this? Hello? Hi. Prometheus. Prometheus. That's a name, man. I'll tell you what. You win a spelling bee just off your name. Prometheus, you can hear us. 00:16:45 - 00:16:51 | Speaker 5:

It was the year that Drake surpassed Michael Jackson for the most AMA, American Music Award nomination.

00:16:52 - 00:16:57 | Speaker 4:

I want to thank the fans and my parents. My dad's here tonight. So thank you so much. It means a lot.

00:16:58 - 00:17:00 | Speaker 5:

And Kim Kardashian got robbed in this year.

00:17:01 - 00:17:11 | Speaker 1:

I know this sounds crazy, but I know that was meant to happen to me. I don't want to start crying, but I feel like that was so meant to happen to me. Like, I'm such a different person.

00:17:12 - 00:17:50 | Speaker 5:

00:17:51 - 00:17:56 | Speaker 4:

You know my hips don't lie and I'm starting to hit the... Look at this guy.

00:17:57 - 00:18:07 | Speaker 5:

Ay-yi-yi-yi. Man, oh man. This guy's got it going on. Today is a Monday. Are you sure that you're that much energy on a Monday? Are you short week because of Thanksgiving?

00:18:09 - 00:18:12 | Speaker 3:

Man, I'm so ready to get my big back on and eat, dude. You have no idea.

00:18:13 - 00:18:20 | Speaker 5:

I'm not going to lie to you. I actually have contemplated not taking my weight loss shot this week. I know it sounds bad. My doctor will listen.

00:18:21 - 00:18:22 | Speaker 1:

Because you only can eat so much.

00:18:22 - 00:18:47 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, well, first off, this weekend, we ordered Lulu's Coney Island for breakfast yesterday, and my eyes were bigger than my stomach, and I can only eat so little of my food. And it got to a point where my son's like, I think I might try one of those things. That's pretty crazy. I've never seen me eat like that. But this week is going to be crazy, and Chelsea's making her famous mashed potatoes. What is your favorite thing that you eat on Thanksgiving?

00:18:48 - 00:18:52 | Speaker 3:

Definitely got to be the greens, the collard greens. What?

00:18:53 - 00:19:04 | Speaker 5:

By the way, I got to get healthy. I do have to get healthy because Kevin talks about collard greens like it's eating pizza. And to me, collard greens just sounds bad because it's greens.

00:19:04 - 00:19:07 | Speaker 4:

But isn't greens not very healthy? Isn't there like a ton of butter?

00:19:09 - 00:19:24 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, you put some pork in there. Oh, okay. So it's unhealthy beans. I like it. Okay, I'll take that. Exactly. And I, by the way, will go on record to say that sweet potato pie is better than pumpkin pie. It is way tastier. Try it. Oh, no.

00:19:25 - 00:19:27 | Speaker 4:

I got greens, baby.

00:19:28 - 00:19:43 | Speaker 5:

Your name. Hang on one second. We're going to get you your prize. Have a great morning. Call us more often, Thomas. We appreciate you so much. Let's get you some Jingle Ball tickets. I loved that new song from Jack Harlow we played on Friday and all weekend.

00:19:43 - 00:19:44 | Speaker 4:

I'm obsessed with it.

00:19:44 - 00:20:00 | Speaker 5:

It's grown on me so much. We're giving you a chance to go see Jack Harlow along with Teddy Swims, Jason Derulo. Kev's not here, so Jason Derulo, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Also, Zach came in and said, I can't.

00:20:00 - 00:20:14 | Speaker 1:

scream from the other room because there's no intercom system so we may all have to pretend like each of us one by one we'll all be kev on first time long times all right here we go mojo in the mornings dirty on the 30 shannon busy weekend what do you got for us in the dirty on the

00:20:14 - 00:20:34 | Speaker 3:

30 well demir gives rushed for two scores david montgomery added a third touchdown is he okay by the way and detroit's defense kept the indianapolis colts out of the end zone yesterday leading the lions to their ninth straight win with a final score of 24 to six good job that's tim that's

00:20:34 - 00:21:12 | Speaker 2:

nine in a row how many of you guys have won nine in a row in here in the nfl raise your hand yeah i'm saying something it's rare all right we're in rare air right now we were two and six in 2022 we had just beaten green bay at home we had not won a road game in two years ag then right we We were 0-11-1, 0-11-1 on the road, 21, half of 22. And then we went to Chicago and got it. We got our first dub, and since then we're 16-5 on the road, man. And every one of you are a part of that. Every one of you are a part of that. That's big, man. 16-5 on the road, all right? So we're road warriors. We're also damn good at home. Yes, we are.

00:21:12 - 00:21:30 | Speaker 3:

By the way, an update for you, positive injury updates from the Lions locker room last night. David Montgomery and Taylor Decker said both are good to go for the Thanksgiving Day game on Thursday against the Chicago Bears. Are we getting blueberries or all blacks?

00:21:31 - 00:21:32 | Speaker 1:

What do you think? What do you mean?

00:21:32 - 00:21:36 | Speaker 4:

I hope it's all blacks. I hope it's all blacks, too, for their uniforms for Thanksgiving.

00:21:36 - 00:21:44 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. Oh, I was like, wait a second. What do we got there? Do we know for a fact? Because I've seen some of the promos, and the promos look like they're all black.

00:21:45 - 00:21:49 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's Brad Galley from Channel 7. I feel like he would have that info, yeah?

00:21:49 - 00:22:00 | Speaker 1:

Well, the other thing, too, is do you guys know that when we were hanging out at the Red Wings game, Matt, good looking Matt, sexy Matt. By the way, that guy's a good, what a good guy, huh? Matt's the promo guy.

00:22:01 - 00:22:02 | Speaker 3:

And a huge thank you to him.

00:22:02 - 00:22:26 | Speaker 1:

You know, his brother is the promo guy, the exact same position for the Lions. So how cool is that, that Matt and his brother, our good friend Matt Fry, he will have to get his brother on the phone for us to let us know what's going on. I want some inside gossip about what the Lions are doing for Thanksgiving and what kind of fun. Did you guys take your gravy bowl home, the Zamboni?

00:22:26 - 00:22:32 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and I'm going to use it on Thursday. Dude, you have no idea. I'm going to be the coolest person in my family.

00:22:32 - 00:22:34 | Speaker 1:

Do you know what that thing is going for on eBay right now?

00:22:34 - 00:22:40 | Speaker 3:

Oh, somebody told me to check. I think it was Victor. Misfit Victor was like, the people are, that is like a coveted item.

00:22:41 - 00:22:44 | Speaker 1:

It right now is between $65 and $100. People are trying to buy it.

00:22:45 - 00:23:17 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that crazy? Okay, Khalid is opening up about his sexuality and confirming that, yes, he is indeed a gay man. And basically, he's like, okay, move on, everybody. He first posted a rainbow emoji with a set of exclamation points and wrote, there y'all go. Next topic, please. He was essentially outed, so he just came out and said, literally came out and just was like, yep, that's me. He wrote, I am gay, spelled it that way, and that's okay. And he said, I got outed, and the world still continues to turn. Let's get this straight.

00:23:18 - 00:23:20 | Speaker 1:

Big day for gay stuff today.

00:23:20 - 00:23:33 | Speaker 3:

I am not ashamed of my sexuality. In reality, it ain't nobody's business, but I am okay with me. Love y'all. And he wrote in another post on Axe, I wasn't hiding anything. It's just not any of your business.

00:23:34 - 00:23:37 | Speaker 1:

By the way, he was great at our jingle ball two years ago, right?

00:23:37 - 00:23:38 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah.

00:23:38 - 00:23:39 | Speaker 1:

So good. He's got so many hits.

00:23:40 - 00:23:59 | Speaker 3:

Jason Kelsey has announced that he and his wife Kylie are expecting baby number four. That big news revealed on Kylie's Instagram on Friday. I loved it. They showed an image of their three girls, Wyatt, Elliot, and Bennett, all wearing sweaters that said big sister on them. And everybody had a very different reaction to the news that they were getting a little sister.

00:23:59 - 00:24:09 | Speaker 4:

Did you see the video she posted with it? No. It was, of course I'm not pregnant. Like, there's no way I'm pregnant. And then it was like the little girls coming out in all their sweatshirts. She's like, oh no.

00:24:09 - 00:24:57 | Speaker 3:

And I thought this was a really cute story. A 78-year-old woman named Sharon Fitzpatrick has set up a grandma stand in New York City to help stressed out people. People, excuse me. So if you need a grandma in your life, if you just need like a little bit of positivity, she sets up her bright purple stand. And that's exactly what she does. the booth was first started in 2013 by her grandson, Mike, and he would have New Yorkers video chat with his grandma, who was all the way in Washington. She has moved, and so now we have the grandma stand, and you can literally, he posts the dates and locations of the grandma stand on Instagram, and he actually rotates between six grandma volunteers to staff the booth each week.

00:24:57 - 00:25:15 | Speaker 1:

Will you do an update this week, maybe tomorrow morning? morning do an update on that woman in uh phoenix that has invited that stranger to her thanksgiving dinner oh yeah every year for like the last yeah decade or something like that that was one of my favorite stories and every year they always talk about it it was like a complete stranger came to

00:25:15 - 00:25:19 | Speaker 4:

their home for thanksgiving dinner i think there's a sad update to that story really let me make sure

00:25:19 - 00:25:23 | Speaker 1:

i know what i'm talking about yeah because i'm going to tell you that's to me the world needs

00:25:23 - 00:25:28 | Speaker 4:

more grandma's name yeah yeah hey for all of today's already catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app, or MojoInTheMorning.com.

00:26:53 - 00:26:55 | Speaker 1:

You tucked your jersey.

00:26:55 - 00:27:00 | Speaker 4:

I got literally 30 or 40 comments going, why would you wear that? That's not how you wear a jersey. Be a real fan.

00:27:00 - 00:27:08 | Speaker 1:

You know what, though? But in fairness, you have lost weight, and you got a big jersey that you want to make.

00:27:08 - 00:27:09 | Speaker 4:

Show that snatched face.

00:27:09 - 00:27:14 | Speaker 1:

You know what we need to do? We need to find a good seamstress. Yeah. The official seamstress of the Mojo in the Morning Show.

00:27:14 - 00:27:17 | Speaker 4:

I wanted to be like, do you know how expensive jerseys are?

00:27:17 - 00:27:30 | Speaker 1:

I have a lady I go to in West Bloomfield. Her name is Flory. I know Flory can do some magic. So, hold on one second. Let's real quick grab Becky. Becky, first Jingle Ball winner of the week. Congratulations.

00:27:32 - 00:27:33 | Speaker 3:

Thank you so much.

00:27:34 - 00:27:44 | Speaker 1:

And we were so excited to be at Little Caesars, and we were all, you know, positioned facing where the stage will be, and we were all talking about, wouldn't it be great to have a suite? Like those suites that we were in?

00:27:44 - 00:27:46 | Speaker 2:

Dude, that suite. Was that it? Mm-hmm.

00:27:46 - 00:28:07 | Speaker 1:

They put us. Oh, my God. Becky, they put us in the Legends Club, and so we were hanging out with former Hall of Famers like Dino Cicerelli. It was great to see Dino out there. And by the way, it looks like he still can play. I would not mess with that guy. And I don't know why I say this, but I do. Dino looks like he's got a big dong. I don't know what it is.

00:28:07 - 00:28:09 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. He does.

00:28:09 - 00:28:19 | Speaker 1:

And I don't. It's like crazy. A very big penis. He was so nice. Such a great guy. Good friend of the show. We've done so much over the years with him. And when he used to have Cicerelli's.

00:28:20 - 00:28:24 | Speaker 4:

Great, great guy. Big, big, big dong.

00:28:24 - 00:28:25 | Speaker 1:

I'm telling you.

00:28:25 - 00:28:26 | Speaker 4:

So weird.

00:28:27 - 00:28:42 | Speaker 1:

But Becky, we were looking at Little Caesars and we're excited because we're going to be there in a couple weeks from tomorrow at Little Caesars for this big dong jingle ball that we're going to be doing. Congratulations to you.

00:28:42 - 00:28:46 | Speaker 3:

I've been trying for like two weeks now. So I'm, like, super excited.

00:28:46 - 00:29:07 | Speaker 1:

Well, you've got tickets. We're going to set you up with a pair. Jack Harlow, Teddy Swims, Jason Derulo, Madison Beer, Saweetie, NCT Dreams, Isabella Rosa. Juan Ho. Juan Ho. Juan Ho. Congratulations to you. We'll set you up with those, okay?

00:29:08 - 00:29:31 | Speaker 3:

Thank you. Thank you so much. Oh, thank you. Hang on one second. You guys are awesome. Oh, my gosh. I'm trying to make it to work on time. It's not looking good. Be careful. Do you need us to call your boss because we can do that for you? No, my boss loves me. I'm walking in. It's okay. Okay, good, good, good. I work in a hospital and, like, oh, no, my boss is me. When I get in there and tell him I was late because I was talking to the radio, he'll be probably cool with it. Oh, sweet.

00:29:31 - 00:29:36 | Speaker 1:

Tell him that Mojo, Shannon, Megan, Kev, KP, Lydia, Zach, all say hi to him, okay?

00:29:37 - 00:29:40 | Speaker 3:

Sure will. Thank you guys so much. You guys are amazing. Have a great day. You too.

00:29:40 - 00:29:42 | Speaker 1:

Hold on one second. We're going to get to this.

00:29:42 - 00:29:50 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55. 5 at 6.55, yo, 5 at 6.55, yo, now.

00:29:50 - 00:29:56 | Speaker 1:

We have a new champion in the 5 at 6.55. Everybody, please welcome back Dallas, who won.

00:29:57 - 00:29:57 | Speaker 4:

Morning, Dallas.

00:29:58 - 00:29:58 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Dallas.

00:29:58 - 00:29:59 | Speaker 4:

Good morning.

00:30:00 - 00:30:01 | Speaker 1:

How are you doing there?

00:30:02 - 00:30:03 | Speaker 3:

I'm good. I'm good. How are you guys?

00:30:03 - 00:30:08 | Speaker 1:

Good. Tell us a little bit about yourself. We get to know you a little bit on the fact that you won on Friday.

00:30:10 - 00:30:19 | Speaker 3:

All right. I'm 30. I'm from Wyandotte. Yeah, that's pretty much it. I'm a Lions fan, a Cowboys fan. Oh, my God.

00:30:19 - 00:30:24 | Speaker 1:

A Cowboys fan. How did that happen? Although, you know what? We won't boo you. They're bad. So they're where the Lions used to be.

00:30:24 - 00:30:25 | Speaker 3:

I've been saying that to the Cowboys.

00:30:25 - 00:30:40 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Dallas. Okay. Now I get it. Now I'm putting two and two together. Um, Dallas, your challenger this morning for your first shot at trying to stay our champion is an occupational therapist, recently graduated from where, Jill?

00:30:41 - 00:30:47 | Speaker 2:

Have a great one. Hold on one second. Hold on. It's Mojo in the mornings. Five is 6.55. Kev is out today, so we're not at 100%, but we will be tomorrow. Kev's spending time with Josiah today, which is pretty cool. So we'll talk more about that coming up. That's what you think. He's shy. Yeah. Oh, what do you think? What do you think he's doing? No, I think I'm going to get sick. Oh, no. He actually, he was sick on Saturday or not feeling well on Saturday. He was actually, I think, really wanting to go, and then I think he realized he'd push it to the limit too much last week by not missing any days. But he will be chaperoning today for Josiah's big event. You were so dumb. That's actually really funny. So get ready for that. You know what her name is just Chapel. I know, but it sounds good to do it that way. Happy Thanksgiving week here. It's Mojo in the morning. I'm so excited for this week. I'm excited that I got the whole family coming into town. For those that don't know, Chelsea and I have three boys. We're really excited over the fact that yesterday Joe came in, and then Luke came home for like a bit, but then has a class today at Michigan State, and then he's going to take a test or something, and then he'll be hitting the road, 96, to come home. And then Jacob we checked in with yesterday. Jacob had his, he and his boyfriend's birthday. So they celebrated that. And then he's going to be coming in tomorrow. So I'm getting all three of them home. Actually, I'm not. Chelsea is. And let me say this to you. When mom's happy, dad's happy. A happy mom makes a happy mojo, okay? Because she gets very excited to spend time with her boys. I would rather just be with her. You know, to me, if they were orphaned, I'd be fine with that. But that's okay. mojo well let me explain why and i don't know if any other parents share this i have two out of the three of them that when they come home luke and jacob specifically they never spend time with us they go up to their room and they're up in their room the entire time and do we you guys do any of you have kids that you can never get out of your room i don't understand this i am of a

00:37:45 - 00:40:16 | Speaker 1:

different generation i was of the generation that we weren't allowed to be up in our room and so much that we weren't allowed to be up in our room our parents made our rooms not really comfortable like we didn't have tvs matter of fact my dad took the freaking door off the room because my brother would slam it so much that he didn't want to so there's no door on the room we actually threatened to do that with jacob once because jacob will not leave his room and he so he comes home to visit his family and he's with us for dinner okay and that's it i mean that's all he literally like joe is different joe so joe was home yesterday we sat and watched football non-stop all day yeah right i went to go to bed because i said oh i gotta work tomorrow and joe took this week off joe's like you really gotta go to bed like he was like the other boys would never spend that much time with me but jacob doesn't like that if you were doing something jacob liked would he hang out with you i have you don't understand how many scary movies i have watched i know that's jacob's thing jacob's in the stuff like that i've watched more scary movies i've watched more movies that had actors in it that i had no idea who they were like jacob jacob's love is of movies or actors that i literally don't think have ever acted in anything that has been relatively popular i don't know or maybe i'm just my maybe my taste is completely different Are you saying that while you're watching these things with him? No, I fake it. I pretend. I'm really good at that. Maybe you should take the doors off, like you just said. Could you imagine the backlash? They would never come home for a holiday ever again. Well, I threatened it one time, and Chelsea goes, you can't do that. It's not privacy. I'm like, privacy, this is my house. This is, by the way, we are a communist country right here. I am Fidel Castro, or I am Vladimir Putin in this house. What are they doing up there? Like, just on their phones, or? What do you think? I don't know. I don't know. I don't want to know. No, they're not doing that. They're boys. They're not doing that. Yeah? You don't think so? Maybe when they were teens, but not as an adult. No. I walk into the room. This is interesting. Has any parents ever had this one? I walk up. So we have a different thermostat for the upstairs than we do for the downstairs level. Yeah. And we have a master bedroom on the first floor. I'll go upstairs and I'll be like, who put the air conditioning on in winter? Like it's like literally, or the windows are open. Like Jacob will open up his windows and I'll be like, oh my God, it feels.

00:40:17 - 00:40:18 | Speaker 4:

Is he smoking weed? No.

00:40:19 - 00:40:25 | Speaker 1:

Well, I thought that that was the case, but literally he smoked weed before in front of me and it's been fine.

00:40:25 - 00:40:26 | Speaker 4:

Not an issue.

00:40:26 - 00:40:41 | Speaker 1:

He does edibles and stuff. But I also have, I think honestly, he just likes it cold and he likes to be under a pile of blankets. So 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Wait till your kids are that age, Shannon.

00:40:41 - 00:41:19 | Speaker 4:

Well, so I experienced this with my stepkids because they're 15 and- Oh, that's right. 17, I had to think for a second. And it is like a thing where, so my stepdaughter, Sam, she studies and that she studies and she reads. She's literally me. And so I know you're going to play the nerd drop. She's actually really cool. But then my stepson, Kieran, he has the whole basement. That basement, sweet. It's like his own apartment, so I can kind of understand. But when he comes up, I'm like, oh, my God, you're here? I didn't even know he was there if it weren't for his car parked in the driveway.

00:41:20 - 00:41:23 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's something about being a teenager.

00:41:23 - 00:41:27 | Speaker 4:

And this is the new thing, too. is he's starting to bring food down there.

00:41:27 - 00:41:28 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah.

00:41:28 - 00:41:34 | Speaker 4:

So I'm like, where the hell's my box of Cheez-Its? Where the heck's the case of LaCroix I just bought? I know always where it is.

00:41:34 - 00:41:38 | Speaker 1:

The case. The whole case. The case. Hey, Helena, what's up? How are you?

00:41:39 - 00:41:54 | Speaker 2:

Good. I was going to say it is definitely like a firstborn child thing where, like, you want to spend all the time with the family because I'm the firstborn child, and when I lived in Chicago and I came home, I would spend all the time with my parents, but my brother would never leave his room.

00:41:54 - 00:42:01 | Speaker 3:

Can I tell you, I don't think you're right here. I don't think it's a firstborn child thing. I think it's a favorite child thing.

00:42:02 - 00:42:03 | Speaker 1:

Really?

00:42:03 - 00:42:10 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, because I'm my dad's favorite child and the youngest, and I spend all my time with him. And Joe is your favorite. Don't deny.

00:42:11 - 00:42:26 | Speaker 1:

See, but you're also the first, you're firstborn, right? Megan, no, you said you're secondborn. You're the baby. You're the baby of the family. I didn't know that. You know my brother. Your brother seems so much younger than you. He's just trying to piss you off. Have you thought about Botox?

00:42:26 - 00:42:30 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. You better go to a commercial right now.

00:42:30 - 00:42:30 | Speaker 1:

Just kidding.

00:42:31 - 00:42:34 | Speaker 3:

I'm feeling under the weather. I think it's time for me to go home.

00:42:35 - 00:42:37 | Speaker 1:

What's up, listener Shannon? What's going on?

00:42:38 - 00:42:49 | Speaker 6:

Hey. Good. Yeah, my son. I can't get him out of his room. I take him to school, and that literally is the only time I see him.

00:42:50 - 00:42:55 | Speaker 1:

Really? so when you're driving to and from school is the only time that you guys ever communicate

00:42:55 - 00:43:02 | Speaker 6:

uh yeah but he still is hard to communicate going to school yeah you know what it's it's

00:43:02 - 00:43:27 | Speaker 1:

interesting i there's a point in their life where i think they grow out of it a little bit but then they go back to it because jake and luke were like that and then all of a sudden they became such talkers but they would talk about stuff that i'd be like what are they talking about and i megan megan's right i do have to be careful sometimes that my facial expression shows that i don't know what the hell they're doing so i have to literally go oh great great and i'm sitting

00:43:27 - 00:43:52 | Speaker 6:

there googling the entire time what are they talking about well i've asked my son you know why don't you come down and have a conversation watch a movie with us yeah you know or what are we doing wrong or and all he says is well you don't like what i like or you know the funny thing is anything i like here's the thing that's funny tell me what he likes yeah here's the funny thing

00:43:52 - 00:44:14 | Speaker 1:

i'm cool i don't know if you know this i'm cool his friends want to hang out with me like like their friends come over and they talk to me non-stop i'm like why does my kid not talk to me non-stop casey what's up hi hi how are you i'm doing okay casey i'm excited that my family is all going to be under the same roof. We just won't be in the same room. But what's up?

00:44:15 - 00:44:30 | Speaker 5:

All right. Well, I can understand the open windows and the AC on because the upstairs gets so hot. We actually keep our air conditioner fan on in the wintertime because all that heat rises to the upstairs, and it gets so hot up there.

00:44:30 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so you're saying that the reason he's opening up his windows is because of that and not that what Shannon said. He's up there doing a bunch of drugs. you know what the funniest is the funniest is that our kids are of the age because they're all over obviously 18 years old luke's not but luke doesn't participate in this or at least i don't know that he does my kids come home and the first thing they do is they go to the greenhouse in Wald Lake to go get stocked up.

00:45:00 - 00:45:11 | Speaker 3:

oh yeah and then they're like and then it becomes a whole thing where they're like mom said that she would buy a little bit for us i'm like no mom did not say that no that's the rules of going home

00:45:11 - 00:45:23 | Speaker 1:

yeah parents buy everything parents do it yes and i'm gonna shop at your house i'm gonna pick up the toilet paper that i need and the cleaning supplies that i need yeah especially the expensive

00:45:23 - 00:45:29 | Speaker 2:

stuff like garbage bags and super towels and toilet paper that's the stuff you gotta get I always used to take that.

00:45:30 - 00:45:32 | Speaker 3:

Megan still does it with Scott Mick.

00:45:32 - 00:45:40 | Speaker 1:

I absolutely do. I have a key to his apartment, and every time I go back to Toledo, I swing by his place, and I pick up everything I need out of his front hall closet.

00:45:40 - 00:45:53 | Speaker 2:

He came to our broadcast at Franklin Park Mall on Saturday, and at one point I turned around, and he was so great, brought us Berry's bagels, which I tried for the first time. So yum. But he was, like, handing Megan a wad of money, and I was like, oh, really?

00:45:53 - 00:45:55 | Speaker 1:

This is how it works. I love my dad.

00:45:56 - 00:45:58 | Speaker 3:

Cut the umbilical cord, Mr. Mick.

00:45:58 - 00:46:04 | Speaker 1:

Absolutely not. I'm just a girl who needs money. That's what I do to my dad. I'm just so poor.

00:46:05 - 00:46:07 | Speaker 3:

By the way, did he tell you that I called him?

00:46:08 - 00:46:12 | Speaker 1:

He did. And he was like, are you in trouble? And I was like, I don't know. What did he say?

00:46:12 - 00:46:20 | Speaker 3:

No, I called him. What I wanted to do is I wanted him to pick up. And on the way out, I wanted to see if I could go by his house and just take pictures from his couch just to freak you out.

00:46:20 - 00:46:23 | Speaker 1:

He would have done that in a heartbeat with you.

00:46:23 - 00:46:33 | Speaker 3:

I want to just sit there and lay on the couch and be like, he just adopted me. We're now friends. Ah, Thanksgiving. Bringing out family dysfunction since 1863.

00:46:34 - 00:46:38 | Speaker 1:

Your kids are little brats. Yeah, well, your daughter dresses like a slut.

00:46:38 - 00:46:41 | Speaker 3:

Happy Thanksgiving from Mojo in the Morning.

00:46:41 - 00:46:42 | Speaker 1:

Tony.

00:46:42 - 00:46:56 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning show. Megan, your Thanksgiving is going to be an interesting one because they're, from what I'm understanding, is going to be a girl that is going to be joining the thanksgiving party or no no i'm the girl

00:46:56 - 00:47:30 | Speaker 1:

joining the thanksgiving party and i'm super freaking stressed out about it you're meeting somebody though aren't you yeah so i have so graciously been invited by my brother's girlfriend's family to their thanksgiving on thanksgiving day now my thanksgiving is happening on saturday um we're the kind of family that like um go do go do everything with the people of plans and then we'll make arrangements whenever like it's not super important for us to have it on the day it's supposed to be on right yeah that makes sense so uh which i like that by the way

00:47:30 - 00:47:37 | Speaker 3:

they call it now friendsgiving but we just called it our family we did that so my plans for

00:47:37 - 00:48:12 | Speaker 1:

thanksgiving day i didn't have any i was just gonna kind of hang out watch a football game clean my apartment get ready prep all the food for Saturday that I could prep ahead of time like I didn't I was going to be pretty much by myself that day which I was not upset about at all and I think her and my brother were talking about it in front of her parents and they said oh just invite her to our Thanksgiving I've never met them I have no idea what the plan is if they're formal if they're not formal what to take what to do and now I feel like there's so much pressure because it's a holiday to meet the parents of my brother's girlfriend and her family

00:48:12 - 00:48:25 | Speaker 3:

on such a big day is it just as stressful to meet your brother's girlfriend's family as it would be if you were meeting somebody that you were dating's family i think it's more stressful because

00:48:25 - 00:48:39 | Speaker 1:

if you're the parents of somebody who's dating somebody you're like all right i've got to like this person they might be around for a long time like put on the i have to like their family right But for the sister, a.k.a. me, you could be like, we don't have to invite her to anything ever again.

00:48:40 - 00:48:51 | Speaker 2:

You know what I mean? See, to me, this already speaks volumes about who they are. They wanted you to be a part of it so that you weren't alone. Oh, nice. They want to meet you and get to know you. Yeah. Already like a good green light. Yes.

00:48:51 - 00:49:00 | Speaker 1:

And I've met her brother. I'm obsessed with her brother. So like, that's great news. So at least there's one person there. Okay. No. And he has a boyfriend.

00:49:01 - 00:49:01 | Speaker 2:

I guess that would be weird.

00:49:01 - 00:49:02 | Unknown:

Oh, okay.

00:49:02 - 00:49:11 | Speaker 1:

That'd be really weird. We talk about RuPaul's Drag Race a lot together. But I'm very, very nervous to meet the parents.

00:49:12 - 00:49:16 | Speaker 3:

What do we know about? So you like the girlfriend. We like her.

00:49:16 - 00:49:17 | Speaker 1:

Love the girlfriend.

00:49:17 - 00:49:26 | Speaker 3:

Do we know anything about them? Like, do we know, do they have like a weird sense of humor like we do? Like, do you think they know what you do?

00:49:26 - 00:49:53 | Speaker 1:

I don't know, and I'm terrified. I am absolutely terrified. Now, the good thing about her brother is I've actually known him for years. He was family friends with my cousin who I'm super close with. So we've been to like Fourth of July parties together and Festivus part. Like I've I've known him casually for years. So meeting him as the girlfriend's brother was more like, hey, nice to have more than a five minute conversation with you. We'll get the scoop from him then.

00:49:53 - 00:49:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. About like what to wear, what his parents are like, if you if you should bring something and what should you bring?

00:49:59 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, because, you know, my.

00:50:00 - 00:50:03 | Speaker 5:

Your brother's an idiot with that kind of thing. Yeah, I would not trust your brother.

00:50:03 - 00:50:25 | Speaker 1:

God, I hope they're Trumpers. I hope that you have to be on your best behavior. No, I just hope it. I'm not even going to touch that with a 10-foot pole. I'm praying, hey, so Megan, what did you think of that election? I'll be like, oh, God, Megan's going to have to bite her tongue. Wanted to be clear, I didn't start this. Quick question, is Scott Mick going too?

00:50:25 - 00:50:30 | Speaker 5:

No, Scott Mick has plans with his girlfriend that day. Wait a second. Has he already met the parents?

00:50:30 - 00:50:31 | Speaker 1:

They've abandoned you?

00:50:32 - 00:50:38 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I don't know if you know this. I'm everybody's last person to think about on major holidays. Love it.

00:50:38 - 00:50:46 | Speaker 1:

This is wild, by the way. You can't do that. Scott, so does Scott even offer you a chance to go hang out with him and his squeeze?

00:50:46 - 00:50:51 | Speaker 5:

Can I get the tiny little violin, please? Yeah, wait, hold on. Oh, you're not replaced.

00:50:51 - 00:50:53 | Speaker 1:

How tiny do we want it to be?

00:50:53 - 00:50:54 | Speaker 4:

It's very tiny. All right, hold on a second.

00:50:55 - 00:50:58 | Speaker 1:

Hold on a second here. I'm getting sad. Let's see here.

00:50:58 - 00:51:24 | Speaker 4:

sad violin for megan i used to have a plan to spend all of my dad's money when he died and now i'm not afraid or i'm kind of afraid that it's not going to be there because he's betting it on his girlfriend he used to take me on vacations and now he takes his girlfriend on vacations and now um i don't even get invited to holidays because he's doing how dare i've been replaced

00:51:24 - 00:51:36 | Speaker 5:

no uh yeah he had plans with her but again it was like starting from the beginning go do your other things let's pick a day where everybody's uh you know available i do i do love

00:51:36 - 00:52:01 | Speaker 1:

these people that out of the blue in this girlfriend by the way sounds like she's spectacular i i really uh am happy for your brother because they would invite you like that's awesome like to me that is that's the kind of family that i like the families that are like hey you know what let's add another yeah we got we got room at the table bring your cookies what happens what happens if you get the kids table and not the big table i think i prefer it

00:52:01 - 00:52:20 | Speaker 5:

because it would be less stress i can really now okay shannon can you bang me up here i'm actually very good with children you i mean that my kids have not stopped talking about hanging out with you on saturday night let me tell you it's funny because everybody thinks i hate children i just don't want any of my own i'm great hanging out with them mentally we're on par with each other

00:52:20 - 00:52:27 | Speaker 1:

So, how about this one? Mom and dad of your brother's girlfriend. So, Megan, explain F them babies.

00:52:27 - 00:52:34 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. If they listen to the show, I would literally cry, say, I'm so sorry. Thank you for the invite and walk out.

00:52:35 - 00:52:40 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Erin. What's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Did you hear this? That Megan's got a new family for Thanksgiving.

00:52:41 - 00:53:00 | Speaker 3:

I love that. And I was just, okay, so I was listening, and she was naming off some things that she would see the brother at. Yep. Did you say you celebrate Festivus, Megan? Every year, baby. We got to air our grievances. Oh, I love it. Oh, my gosh. I didn't know if you said festivals. I was like, no, no. I think she did. So that's why I called.

00:53:00 - 00:53:02 | Speaker 1:

Festivus for the rest of us.

00:53:02 - 00:53:02 | Speaker 3:

That is correct.

00:53:02 - 00:53:07 | Speaker 5:

My cousin has a giant Festivus party every single year that we go to.

00:53:08 - 00:53:14 | Speaker 3:

Stop. That's so amazing. I don't know anybody besides, like, three people in my family that watch Seinfeld that celebrate.

00:53:15 - 00:53:25 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yeah. By the way, what do you think? Is Megan going to behave herself? Will everything work out good? Will her brother still be dating this girl on Friday?

00:53:27 - 00:53:39 | Speaker 3:

I think like the fun part about being an outgoing person like Megan is she probably will be the life of the party and might say some things that might embarrass her a little bit, but overall will be so fun and she's always going to invite back.

00:53:39 - 00:53:46 | Speaker 1:

What if they ask her questions about, so tell us about your brother and some of the, Is he going to tell you things to say and not say?

00:53:47 - 00:54:10 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that boy is. Love him to death. If you're wondering who out of the two of us is sensitive, it's not me. I will not say anything about him because I love him too much and he's my best friend. I don't want to be ignored for weeks. But the outgoing thing goes two ways. I can either kill it and make him look good or put my foot in my mouth so hard that I'll never recover.

00:54:11 - 00:54:36 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I think this is going to be perfect. Tune in to Mojo in the Morning Monday morning to find out all the details about what happens at Megan's Festivus and at the Thanksgiving holiday celebration with her brother and his girlfriend's family. That's going to be a great one. What do we got here? Hold on a second. Monica, what's up, Monica? How you doing?

00:54:37 - 00:54:58 | Speaker 2:

I'm all right. But listen, Megan, you have to be smart enough to pull the girl card here. throw some extra stuff in your vehicle so that you can maybe feel out the crowd and then oh hey you know what i forgot something i'll be right back and then if you gotta grab a sweater or take something off to match the vibe or to grab a gift for the hostess keep it in your car

00:55:00 - 00:55:13 | Speaker 7:

But what if I walked in in one outfit, went out to my car, changed into something completely different, like didn't take off one layer? No, it's got to be a subtle change, subtle change, but just enough. Don't leave it in your car.

00:55:13 - 00:55:17 | Speaker 4:

No, don't leave it in your car. Bring a suitcase and act like you're staying the night.

00:55:17 - 00:55:25 | Speaker 7:

Show up in a fully sequenced dress, change into sweatpants. Hey, what is life without a good costume change?

00:55:25 - 00:55:29 | Speaker 4:

Are you bringing anything to the party? Are you going to bring any of your baked goods, your famous?

00:55:29 - 00:55:42 | Speaker 7:

I said cookies. I don't know what to bring because apparently mom is like a fantastic chef and baker. And then my brother's girlfriend used to work at a bakery. So like I'm worried that I'm not going to step up.

00:55:42 - 00:55:43 | Speaker 6:

So maybe bring like a gift instead.

00:55:43 - 00:55:45 | Speaker 7:

Bring a bottle of wine. Yeah. Okay.

00:55:46 - 00:56:01 | Speaker 4:

What happens if it becomes a situation like it happens at my house where I love when guests come to our house and Chelsea goes, it seems like you enjoy them more than you enjoy your own family. like Megan becomes such a hit that Megan's brother becomes the who's that guy

00:56:01 - 00:56:08 | Speaker 7:

I hope so that's my goal in life is to outshine him at every possible moment but how much money do I have to spend on the gift

00:56:08 - 00:56:12 | Speaker 4:

it's got to be a good a good bottle of wine

00:56:12 - 00:56:14 | Speaker 7:

like a $50 bottle of wine

00:56:14 - 00:56:20 | Speaker 4:

well you got something you got to first off make sure that they're not alcoholics because if you do that then that's a bad deal

00:56:20 - 00:56:24 | Speaker 6:

that happened to me and wine I didn't drink.

00:56:24 - 00:56:42 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Find out ahead of time. Ask your brother for details, or his girlfriend for details, okay? Could you imagine? Here's the deal. If dad is, like, the biggest bourbon drinker, and you get him a nice bottle of bourbon, you will be his favorite forever. He will want his daughter to marry both you and his, and your brother.

00:56:43 - 00:56:45 | Speaker 7:

His brother, not my brother.

00:56:45 - 00:56:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah. Her brother, too. Her brother, yes. All right, thank you for the call. Take care of yourself.

00:56:52 - 00:56:54 | Speaker 7:

00:57:08 - 00:57:12 | Speaker 6:

00:57:57 - 00:58:15 | Speaker 6:

well almost 30 years after they were sentenced to life in prison for murdering their parents lyle and eric menendez are set to appear in court later this morning and this is the latest step in their bid for release after the la district attorney recommended that they be resentenced

00:58:15 - 00:58:26 | Speaker 5:

Today, a potentially pivotal court hearing in Los Angeles for Eric and Lyle Menendez as they fight for their freedom. They could speak publicly for the first time in years.

00:58:27 - 00:58:35 | Speaker 3:

The Menendez brothers will appear virtually in this hearing. They could be asked questions or answer any type of information that the judge asks of them.

00:58:35 - 00:58:55 | Speaker 5:

The brothers, serving life sentences without parole for the shotgun murders of their parents in 1989, have claimed it was in self-defense after years of abuse. And now, their lawyers claim there's new evidence backing up those abuse claims. They're demanding a new trial or a resentencing.

00:58:55 - 00:59:01 | Speaker 1:

Technically, it's a status conference, but the judge could do anything.

00:59:01 - 00:59:10 | Speaker 5:

The outgoing district attorney had recommended re-evaluating the brothers' sentences. The newly elected DA is now reviewing the request.

00:59:10 - 00:59:19 | Speaker 2:

If you decide this case based on just reviewing a Netflix documentary, you're doing a disservice to the Menendez brothers, to the victim family members, to the public.

00:59:19 - 00:59:38 | Speaker 5:

The high-level interest in the Menendez case has been driven by a Netflix series and a documentary describing the abuse allegations against their parents. Interest is so intense, a lottery is being held to determine which 16 spectators will be given a seat in court to witness today's hearing.

00:59:38 - 00:59:48 | Speaker 1:

The DA has already initiated the resentencing well before the election. Once the DA initiates the resentencing, it's now in the hands of the judge.

00:59:48 - 00:59:52 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, that hearing is scheduled to start at 1030 a.m. California time.

00:59:52 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 4:

I cannot believe how much attention this thing has gotten, but obviously that shows you what documentaries do. But it's interesting.

01:00:00 - 01:00:08 | Speaker 1:

I mean, the majority of people that I've known that have watched the documentary, except for me, believe these guys should be out. They believe that these guys were abused.

01:00:09 - 01:00:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and they've already served three decades, remember, as well.

01:00:11 - 01:00:38 | Speaker 1:

And it's interesting because I watched it and I thought, okay, they killed their parents. Like, okay, why is everybody making a big thing? But so many people say that that wasn't even brought up as part of the deal. But you murdered somebody, you murdered somebody. But nowadays, if this case were to go to court, every single legal expert says they would have probably gotten off some way, some some form or maybe even gotten time, but not as much time as they've served.

01:00:39 - 01:00:43 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Watch the date line on it to Keith Morrison introduced them. It's really, really good.

01:00:43 - 01:00:47 | Speaker 1:

I cannot believe also how many women are hot for good looking guys.

01:00:47 - 01:01:21 | Speaker 3:

It's weird, but they are brothers. Yeah. Okay, Wicked brought in $114 million in its opening weekend, followed by Gladiator 2, which had a $55 million take. And if I hear one more person refer to this as a Glicked weekend, I'm going to scream. Thank you. Give it the respect it deserves. Thank you. Two separate movies. Why? What's wrong with it? I don't know. My life was... I'm not joking. I, I, it was the best movie I've ever seen. It was so freaking good.

01:01:21 - 01:01:43 | Speaker 2:

You two guys are sick, man. It was so freaking good. But here's where I get upset. We have a female-dominated movie doing well, and we're attaching a dude movie to it like it's just as successful, and it's not. They did the same thing with Barbie and Oppenheimer. Right. It also drove me nutty. I will give Oppenheimer credit. At least it was a lot closer in the box office, even though Barbie did blow that one away as well. But this one I don't think is even close.

01:01:43 - 01:01:45 | Speaker 1:

$55 million is a lot of money still.

01:01:45 - 01:01:46 | Speaker 2:

Right, but Wicked doubled that.

01:01:46 - 01:01:56 | Speaker 1:

They said that the promotional stuff that they did for Wicked will never be, they'll never make the money back that they made off Wicked because of the promotional money they spent.

01:01:56 - 01:02:04 | Speaker 2:

That's absolutely not true. It's a billion dollar musical. This movie is going to make money and money and money hand over face. And go see Imagine to see it.

01:02:04 - 01:02:20 | Speaker 1:

They had a, there was a story, I'll play you the story this morning that they had from one of the movie companies that said that this will be, this is not about this movie, this will be about the next movie. They're trying to create something that's bigger, but they say this movie will cost the movie company a ton of money.

01:02:20 - 01:02:33 | Speaker 2:

No, I'm sure it will, but I'm thinking of merch, long-term investments when it comes to streaming and buying the movie after it's released. And they're not going to spend nearly as much money on the second movie's promotion because everybody saw the first one and they're going to have to finish the series.

01:02:33 - 01:03:03 | Speaker 3:

All right, Taylor Swift going to perform three shows in Vancouver next month as she puts the finishing touches on her Arrows Tour, the biggest money-making tour in music history. And it seemed like her emotions or the emotions of this 18-month journey coming to an end hit her on Saturday night. She was attempting to show gratitude to all the Swifties in attendance, but she got really, really, really choked up in the process. And this is me. I'm supposed to play this from my computer. Here we go. I love technology.

01:03:03 - 01:03:12 | Speaker 2:

Sorry, I just ran. We're at the very end of this tour, so if you believe in that, you have no idea how much it means to me. Thank you.

01:03:14 - 01:03:21 | Speaker 3:

She's like wiping tears away. She's got snung her nose. And then that's it. And then she's going to get engaged and get pregnant.

01:03:22 - 01:03:22 | Speaker 1:

You think?

01:03:23 - 01:03:23 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:03:23 - 01:03:29 | Speaker 1:

If she doesn't, will you believe that it's all a bunch of hype and a bunch of phooey?

01:03:29 - 01:03:32 | Speaker 3:

But I don't believe it's a bunch of phooey, as you say.

01:03:32 - 01:03:33 | Speaker 1:

I'm telling you. All right.

01:03:33 - 01:04:04 | Speaker 3:

All right. Quick story. Haley Bieber reacting to Billboard magazine, ranking Justin Bieber as the eighth greatest pop star of the 21st century. Obviously, she's very protective of her husband. She tweeted, Billboard is an effing joke, as per usual. That was all. Who are the people? Oh, I didn't even look at the full list. I just follow her on X. Oh, yeah, I want to know who's beating them. Someone's got to look this up. Here, I got it.

01:04:04 - 01:04:09 | Speaker 1:

Hold on. Yeah. Let me know who's on there. Because I may actually agree with her.

01:04:09 - 01:05:00 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I feel like. Eighth greatest pop star of the 21st century. I feel like we've had a lot of great. I mean, and I'm a believer, but we've had a lot of great pop stars. I don't know. Okay. While you're looking for me, Megan, I'm going to do the last story. The average American going to consume roughly a day's worth of calories in one sitting this Thursday for Thanksgiving. 14% of people planning on eating at least 3,000 calories, which to me is really nothing. 4% bragged that they're budgeting for more than 5,000 calories. But just so you're aware, according to current guidelines issued by the Department of Health and Human Services, adults over the age of 21, we need between 1,600 and 3,000 calories per day. So like that 5,000 might be a little bit much. Of this survey, 47% said turkey was their fave, 42% mash.

01:05:00 - 01:05:20 | Speaker 2:

potatoes 34 said it's all about the stuffing what will most of us be waving aside and not even caring about or eating cranberry sauce i love cranberry favorite thing on the menu and when it comes to dessert apple trumps pumpkin pie but no not costco pumpkin pie so i have the top 10

01:05:20 - 01:05:39 | Speaker 3:

okay so number 10 is adele number nine is ariana grande oh no eight is justin bieber okay seven is Kanye West, six is Britney Spears, five is Lady Gaga, four was Drake, three is Rihanna, and two and one have not been announced yet.

01:05:40 - 01:05:43 | Speaker 4:

Wait, they haven't even, we're going to figure out, who do you think two and one will be?

01:05:43 - 01:05:44 | Speaker 3:

I don't, who's bigger than Rihanna?

01:05:44 - 01:05:45 | Speaker 4:

Jay-Z or?

01:05:45 - 01:05:47 | Speaker 3:

No, Beyonce's got to be up there.

01:05:47 - 01:05:48 | Speaker 4:

Beyonce, yeah, probably Beyonce's number one.

01:05:49 - 01:05:51 | Speaker 3:

And then probably Taylor Swift. It's probably Beyonce and Taylor Swift.

01:05:52 - 01:05:54 | Speaker 4:

I think Bieber's probably appropriate.

01:05:54 - 01:06:01 | Speaker 3:

But to be fair, the only one I might disagree with is Drake being bigger than Bieber. But that's arguable, and I get that.

01:06:01 - 01:06:06 | Speaker 4:

Drake has won more awards than anybody. He holds the record. I get that.

01:06:06 - 01:06:08 | Speaker 2:

Kanye more than Adele really bothers me, but that's...

01:06:08 - 01:06:19 | Speaker 3:

But Lady Gaga should be above Justin Bieber, in my opinion. Britney Spears should be above JB, and then that's it. I don't think that's an arguable list.

01:06:19 - 01:06:22 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. I think that's a good list, though. That's a lot of people.

01:06:22 - 01:06:27 | Speaker 2:

01:06:50 - 01:06:52 | Speaker 1:

I am well. How are you guys?

01:06:52 - 01:06:57 | Speaker 4:

We are fantastic. We're getting excited over our Thanksgiving holiday. And then next is Christmas and Jingle Ball.

01:06:58 - 01:07:02 | Speaker 1:

Yes. And I have to say, first time, long time. Hey there. Hold on.

01:07:02 - 01:07:06 | Speaker 4:

Kev's not here, so we got to. Tiffany on the phone.

01:07:06 - 01:07:08 | Speaker 1:

Tiffany's on the phone. Yes, yes, yes.

01:07:09 - 01:07:10 | Speaker 4:

Congratulations. Thank you.

01:07:10 - 01:07:12 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. Thank you.

01:07:12 - 01:07:15 | Speaker 4:

Enjoy. We're going to set you up with a pair of those tickets, okay?

01:07:15 - 01:07:17 | Speaker 1:

All right. Thank you, guys. Have a good day.

01:07:17 - 01:07:41 | Speaker 4:

We will see you at Jingle Ball. Tickets are available right now. Ticketmaster.com. You can go get them. and you're now also in the running for a brand-new 2024 Kia Telluride from Summit Place Kia. Love our Summit Place Kia. We'll give that away that night. By the way, no purchase is necessary to enter that contest. See rules for details on how you can enter. And hang on the phone, and we'll get some information from you, okay?

01:07:42 - 01:07:42 | Speaker 1:

Thank you.

01:07:43 - 01:07:59 | Speaker 4:

We were there for the Red Wings game, and we got something kind of cool here, guys. Zach just brought this in, and I'm like, Zach, you've got to go get him. Our building manager, Brandon, also works at Little Caesars. Is that right, Brandon? Yes, sir. What do you do at Little Caesars?

01:07:59 - 01:08:00 | Speaker 5:

I work for the ice crew.

01:08:00 - 01:08:05 | Speaker 4:

Are you the guy with a shovel, like scooping ice and stuff?

01:08:05 - 01:08:05 | Speaker 5:

I usually do the bucket.

01:08:06 - 01:08:17 | Speaker 4:

You do the bucket? Yeah. Do you have to be the guy that goes out there if an octopus or an octopi ends up on the ice? Yes, sir. And how many times does that usually happen?

01:08:17 - 01:08:19 | Speaker 5:

Oh, like for the whole season?

01:08:19 - 01:08:24 | Speaker 4:

Probably like at least 40 times. At least? Does every game that happen? Because I didn't see it on Saturday.

01:08:24 - 01:08:26 | Speaker 5:

Not every game, but most games.

01:08:26 - 01:08:29 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so do you hate that or do you look at that as kind of cool?

01:08:29 - 01:08:30 | Speaker 5:

No, I think it's pretty cool.

01:08:30 - 01:08:37 | Speaker 4:

What do we do with them once you remove them from the ice? You just throw them in a bucket. Really? You don't, rumor said that you bring it.

01:08:37 - 01:08:38 | Speaker 2:

And they magically disappear.

01:08:38 - 01:08:42 | Speaker 4:

I heard they go to the London chop house and Christos turns them into calamari.

01:08:42 - 01:08:43 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that'd be nice I've never been.

01:08:43 - 01:08:46 | Speaker 3:

No? Do you get mad that you're not allowed to swing them anymore?

01:08:46 - 01:08:49 | Speaker 5:

No, there's a story behind that, but no.

01:08:50 - 01:08:58 | Speaker 4:

You brought us a special gift. Isn't this pretty cool? He brought us pucks from actual game that we were at on Saturday. That's awesome. That's so cool.

01:08:58 - 01:08:58 | Speaker 3:

Thank you.

01:08:59 - 01:09:06 | Speaker 4:

These are really, really cool. These are awesome. I did not know that they even have the puck sponsored. Like Belfort is even on the pucks.

01:09:06 - 01:09:07 | Speaker 5:

Isn't that? Yeah.

01:09:08 - 01:09:11 | Speaker 4:

That's like the coolest, that there's even a sponsorship on that.

01:09:11 - 01:09:13 | Speaker 5:

Those were all used during the warm-ups, too.

01:09:13 - 01:09:18 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that's cool. Man, that is awesome. Thank you. Well, thank you, buddy. Thanks for doing everything you do for us in this building, too.

01:09:18 - 01:09:19 | Speaker 5:

Thank you. This is an awesome experience.

01:09:19 - 01:09:22 | Speaker 3:

And you found my card, didn't you? I did. Thank you for that. Appreciate it.

01:09:23 - 01:09:23 | Speaker 4:

He found what did he find?

01:09:24 - 01:09:30 | Speaker 3:

I dropped a gift card on my way out of the building on Friday, and you got it back to me, so thank you.

01:09:30 - 01:09:30 | Speaker 5:

I'm just here to do what I can.

01:09:30 - 01:09:32 | Speaker 3:

You're really on top of everything.

01:09:32 - 01:09:39 | Speaker 4:

Will you go to the producer's room and see Lydia, because she's been trying to get a hold of Christos to get a key to the basement.

01:09:39 - 01:09:42 | Speaker 5:

I actually got to go see her for that turkey shoot tomorrow.

01:09:42 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 4:

Ah, yes. We need that. By the way, so turkey shoot time. we got to talk about this so turkey shoot tomorrow is gonna be our first turkey shoot in uh this new building so this new building that we have um and we have official word that we have a turkey so the the turkey

01:10:00 - 01:10:07 | Speaker 1:

will be here because remember on Friday we were dealing with how do we get Victor out of his job that he has like he has a real job

01:10:07 - 01:10:11 | Speaker 2:

but it sounded more like Victor was just not can I tell you something

01:10:11 - 01:10:44 | Speaker 1:

I thought that and then I talked to him over the weekend and he couldn't if Victor would have come to do this turkey shoot if the shoot was on Wednesday he would not have been able to do it because he would have lost some kind of ability to be able to have a day off, I guess, for the holiday. So, Victor was able to figure out that since we're doing it on Tuesday, he can do it possibly, you know, do it and then go to work at the same time. He is such a good sport, he's still going to do it. So, Victor's going to be part of this. He's a great

01:10:44 - 01:10:46 | Speaker 2:

turkey. People love him as the turkey. Well, the other

01:10:46 - 01:10:54 | Speaker 1:

thing, too, he's shootable. Like, you know what I mean? Like, no offense. Can you get Victor on the phone? No offense. But Victor is the type of

01:10:54 - 01:10:56 | Speaker 2:

guy that... No offense. Your personality makes people want to

01:10:56 - 01:11:05 | Speaker 1:

But, you know, he's kind of got that je ne sais quoi or a-hole ability.

01:11:05 - 01:11:08 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm a little jealous of the contestants, to be honest.

01:11:08 - 01:11:22 | Speaker 1:

Maybe you should be part of this thing. I would love to. Maybe we should have you and Shannon and KP be the shooters. And you shoot for listeners. In the past, we've always had listeners that do the shooting. Wouldn't that be fun? I would love it. Would you guys like to do that?

01:11:23 - 01:11:26 | Speaker 2:

I've never shot a paintball gun before. I think it would be great.

01:11:26 - 01:11:29 | Speaker 1:

And then you guys, like throwback, throwdown, play for them.

01:11:29 - 01:11:31 | Speaker 2:

Please, please let me do this.

01:11:31 - 01:11:37 | Speaker 1:

I think it would be awesome. Victor is not answering, according to our sweet Lydia.

01:11:37 - 01:11:38 | Speaker 2:

He's scared of me.

01:11:38 - 01:12:22 | Speaker 1:

He might be working already. Is he? I think he takes the kids to school this early in the morning. Although the kids go to school in a school district that I don't think ever has school. Every time I ask him, I'm like, what do you got going on there? He goes, oh, the kids and I are going out for pizza. I go, it's like 10 o'clock at night. Do they not have school? It's like, I want to put my kids in that school district. All right, so if you would like to be part of this contest and you can make it down here to the studios tomorrow, again, we have a new location, so it's not the old one. It's not the Farmington Hills location. We're down in Eastern Market, so we're literally a stone's throw from where you're tailgating for this game on Thursday. You have a chance to win $1,000 gift card to go purchase tickets to go to the game on Thursday.

01:12:22 - 01:12:22 | Speaker 2:

So great.

01:12:23 - 01:12:28 | Speaker 1:

Lions versus the Bears, and it's all brought to you by our friends over at Zot Ford and Papa Romano's.

01:12:28 - 01:12:30 | Speaker 2:

Can you say it right, though, please?

01:12:30 - 01:12:30 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

01:12:30 - 01:12:31 | Speaker 2:

Dubbears.

01:12:31 - 01:12:31 | Speaker 1:

Dubbears.

01:12:32 - 01:12:34 | Speaker 2:

Dubbears. Where are we doing this shoot?

01:12:34 - 01:12:37 | Speaker 1:

Because... The alley in the back here. Oh, we are. Okay. Yeah.

01:12:37 - 01:12:47 | Speaker 2:

It's just interesting to me that we're surrounded by meat markets and slaughterhouses, and we're going to be pretending to shoot a fake turkey.

01:12:47 - 01:12:55 | Speaker 1:

We're going to slaughter, after the thing's all done, Victor. We're going to eat them for the holidays.

01:12:55 - 01:12:58 | Speaker 2:

We've got to get a frozen turkey. And when it's done, just bring the frozen turkey out.

01:12:58 - 01:13:20 | Speaker 1:

Wait till you hear the contest that I got for tomorrow that we're going to be doing to give away free turkeys. Tomorrow morning's contest that Lydia and I came up with is going to be so good. It's called Give Your Boss the Bird. And so tomorrow morning on the show, we're going to do that with actual turkeys.

01:13:20 - 01:13:21 | Speaker 3:

That's so good.

01:13:22 - 01:13:24 | Speaker 1:

Hold on a second here. What's up, Angie? Hi.

01:13:25 - 01:13:26 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Good morning.

01:13:27 - 01:13:27 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. What's going on?

01:13:29 - 01:13:36 | Speaker 3:

I think the Red Wings guy in the studio was good for Megan. Her voice changed, and she was flirting.

01:13:37 - 01:13:45 | Speaker 1:

Oh. She does kind of do that sometimes when a gentleman will come in the studio. Her voice gets a little bit more seductive, you know?

01:13:45 - 01:13:49 | Speaker 3:

No, I think you guys just aren't used to that's how I talk to people I like.

01:13:51 - 01:13:51 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:13:51 - 01:13:53 | Speaker 3:

I could really tell.

01:13:54 - 01:14:06 | Speaker 1:

I could really tell that you like him. I've never heard that tone delivered to me, but I do appreciate when it does get delivered to somebody. Thank you for the call. Who do we got here? Mojo in the Morning, who's this?

01:14:07 - 01:14:07 | Speaker 3:

This is Jamie.

01:14:08 - 01:14:09 | Speaker 1:

Jamie, you want to be part of this?

01:14:10 - 01:14:12 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh, I do so much. Yes. Yeah.

01:14:13 - 01:14:17 | Speaker 1:

All right, Jamie, you're one of the qualifiers for our turkey shoot tomorrow, okay?

01:14:17 - 01:14:22 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh, and I'm picking up my Spartan tonight. Can I bring her with me tomorrow? Of course.

01:14:22 - 01:14:24 | Speaker 1:

Absolutely. Go green.

01:14:24 - 01:14:26 | Speaker 2:

Go white. Go white. Sorry.

01:14:26 - 01:14:34 | Speaker 1:

Hang on one second. Hold on one second. We'll get you set up for this. Madeline, would you like to maybe go to the game on Thursday?

01:14:35 - 01:14:38 | Speaker 3:

Absolutely. I'm a huge Lions fan. I would love to have the ticket.

01:14:38 - 01:14:47 | Speaker 1:

Well, here's the deal. You're now in the running to be in the turkey shoot. And do you like the idea that the girls of the show are the ones shooting this year? I kind of like that.

01:14:48 - 01:14:50 | Speaker 3:

I think it'll be so fun.

01:14:50 - 01:14:55 | Speaker 1:

I pulled that right out of my ass, and I've got to be honest, it was the best thing I've pulled out of my ass in a long time.

01:14:55 - 01:14:56 | Speaker 3:

Wow.

01:14:56 - 01:15:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so there's some other things that have come out of that thing. that weren't so good hang on the phone let me get one more qualifier here and then we'll move on and we'll do another chance to win next hour Tara you there yes I'm here Tara would you like to be

01:15:13 - 01:15:30 | Speaker 3:

part of our turkey shoot oh my god this would make my husband's lifetime just like it would make his day it would and you would be willing to drive in from Muskegon to be part of this and my son will leave at 2 o'clock in the morning

01:15:30 - 01:15:40 | Speaker 1:

wow I love that alright well you know what you're a Lions fan and we got so many Lions fans on the west side of the state we love our Lions you'd be willing to do it we'll do it for you okay

01:15:40 - 01:15:44 | Speaker 2:

alright awesome thanks guys so much

01:15:44 - 01:16:08 | Speaker 1:

yeah it'll be incredible alright so hang on the phone for just one second and we'll get some information from you too alright awesome thanks this is life is good life is so good Here, watching Lions games has never been more fun. Being a Detroit Lions fan has literally never been this fun. This is Mojo in the Morning. Since we're talking Thanksgiving, Shannon.

01:16:09 - 01:16:10 | Speaker 4:

I'm offended.

01:16:11 - 01:16:25 | Speaker 1:

I'm hoping that your family has a wonderful Thanksgiving because I'm hoping that it's like prior years, you possibly going out and either buying it or what are you doing? You're not necessarily known as the...

01:16:25 - 01:16:32 | Speaker 4:

I am not a cook. I am not a chef. I am just, yeah, I'm not great in the kitchen.

01:16:32 - 01:16:34 | Speaker 1:

You set an amazing table.

01:16:34 - 01:16:35 | Speaker 4:

No, I do.

01:16:35 - 01:16:37 | Speaker 1:

You're an amazing table setter.

01:16:37 - 01:17:08 | Speaker 4:

Toss, toss. If you saw me this weekend, I'll just toss my hair. I will give myself that. I am not a good cook. I never learned to cook. It is not my specialty, but I try really hard. And so I have hosted Thanksgiving in the past, And I've kind of done a mishmash of ordering from like a local market, you know, the turkey that's already prepared. And then my family, everybody will bring a dish or two. So we get it done. I make a few things. Like I actually make really great mashed potatoes. I can steam some green beans. You are an amazing steamer. I am.

01:17:08 - 01:17:08 | Speaker 1:

Yes, I am.

01:17:09 - 01:18:34 | Speaker 4:

So I am hosting again this year. and on Thursday it is my mom, my sister's family, all four of Wes and I's kids and then late night Wes's sister and her husband are coming in to town from Canada. So I am very organized about this. I made a menu. I delegated who is making and bringing what. I made a shopping list that I was going to go out and start today. Like good to go with everything. Well yesterday Wes calls me from Costco. And I'm like, well, what are you doing at Costco? And he said, he's making this list of all of the stuff that he was grabbing for his Thanksgiving. And I said, excuse me. And I'm like, he goes, well, I got this. I got this. I got this. I said, Wes, I already either got all of that stuff or I have people bringing certain things. And I was planning on making certain things. We already have that covered. And he was like, nope, just leave it up to me, please and i know what is happening here i know that wes and my sister conspired to make sure that i touched zero food items so that they could all zero actually eat a good thanksgiving yes and i feel like nobody has told me this but they've all like pushed me out of the equation i feel like i did all of this work and now i am not allowed to be a part of this at all except set

01:18:34 - 01:19:07 | Speaker 1:

the table but here's the thing though it's so offensive there are so many things in life that you do well it's time for you to pass the this off to people say it again mojo say it again it's time yes it's time for you to pass you do so many things well and it's not about you it's about people surviving yeah you know um i i want to know by the way any people that share shannon uh and what shannon does what will you call us up at 844 mojo live like what what do you do what do you contribute to your thanksgiving if it's not cooking something or doing this isn't even

01:19:07 - 01:19:14 | Speaker 4:

like shan go go grab some cookies from christine's cakes like they nothing i am allowed to do you're

01:19:14 - 01:19:30 | Speaker 1:

not you're not even allowed to do that because they're afraid that you'll screw that up yeah listen i i will say this and again i saw a lot of people posting these on social media this weekend i cannot believe how many people already have their table set for thanksgiving like what are you guys what are you guys gonna do to eat the rest of the week Are we not eating there?

01:19:30 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 4:

Our table is going to be beautiful. But you guys, we realized this yesterday. So I was trying to figure out, because my kitchen, you guys have all been to my house. I have like a big island, and then I have a little round table in front of a TV that we usually, that's like the table we use every day for like breakfast, lunch, and dinner and stuff. And then I have like a, what do you call it? Like a breakfast nook in the corner, and that has a long table. So I want everybody sitting at one table, though, for Thursday. so I have I'm bringing in another round like folding table so I have the

01:19:59 - 01:20:01 | Unknown:

You

01:20:00 - 01:20:08 | Speaker 4:

Two round tables and then the long table. We put it together to see how we could fit everybody around it. And I about died west goes, we have a penis Thanksgiving dinner.

01:20:09 - 01:20:10 | Speaker 3:

That's great.

01:20:10 - 01:20:13 | Speaker 4:

It is in the shape of a penis. And now that's all Smith wants to talk about.

01:20:13 - 01:20:14 | Speaker 3:

And the round tables are the balls?

01:20:15 - 01:20:16 | Speaker 4:

The table has balls.

01:20:17 - 01:20:17 | Speaker 3:

That's amazing.

01:20:17 - 01:20:21 | Speaker 4:

If you don't put your pie at the end of the table, I'm going to be so mad at you.

01:20:22 - 01:20:23 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Christy? Hi.

01:20:24 - 01:20:38 | Speaker 5:

Hi. Good morning. I was listening to Shannon. I was going to say, this is her time for her to just sit back, smoke a joint, let them cook all the food, and at the end, be like, your food was good, but my decorating was the bomb. Don't get up.

01:20:39 - 01:20:39 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:20:39 - 01:20:46 | Speaker 4:

I don't smoke, but it is so hard for me to sit back and do nothing, though. Like, it's just not in my nature. I can't.

01:20:47 - 01:20:48 | Speaker 3:

You know what this is like, Shannon?

01:20:48 - 01:20:58 | Speaker 5:

I get it because I have OCD, but at the same time, you can be like, well, yeah, no, that decoration looks great. that decoration looks great and totally make the place look beautiful what this reminds me of is

01:20:58 - 01:21:06 | Speaker 3:

do you remember when you were in school and you guys would in gym class would have the kids that were not the greatest athletes but you'd have them keep score yeah shannon's keeping score

01:21:06 - 01:21:11 | Speaker 4:

your team manager yeah your team manager you're in charge of the uniforms you get in at the end

01:21:11 - 01:21:16 | Speaker 3:

of the game and everybody cheers you on you wash the dishes you get the one score and everybody's

01:21:16 - 01:21:22 | Speaker 4:

like we're so proud of her nobody defended her but she did so good austin what's happening how

01:21:22 - 01:21:47 | Speaker 1:

you doing hey good morning everybody good morning um so so i am a firm believer i bless my family with my presence every year yeah um so i'm from the toledo area and i basically have to drive to columbus and dayton and then back to toledo within a day yeah so yeah my my presence is uh it's very

01:21:47 - 01:22:00 | Speaker 3:

very giving this year and we're thankful that's wonderful and by the way the thing with shannon is she does have a great house for hosting. Like, it's a great hosting house. She's not the hostess, though. When it comes to food. Yeah. No.

01:22:00 - 01:22:05 | Speaker 4:

I'll make sure you have everything else. I was going to say, you're going to be bartender of the day. Yeah, that's true.

01:22:05 - 01:22:06 | Speaker 3:

Justin, what's up?

01:22:07 - 01:22:09 | Speaker 8:

Hey, how's it going? Good morning.

01:22:09 - 01:22:10 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. Happy Thanksgiving, buddy.

01:22:12 - 01:22:12 | Speaker 8:

Thank you.

01:22:13 - 01:22:14 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

01:22:14 - 01:22:36 | Speaker 8:

I can contribute only in one way by the removal of the food. that is all i have to do ever uh watch lions and drink beer so but you can clean dishes that's the thing everybody can do a dish that's what that's what you make kids for oh hey brett what's up it's

01:22:36 - 01:22:45 | Speaker 2:

mojo in the morning hey so my project for thanksgiving to contribute is making sure Everything for Christmas is ready to go for the next day.

01:22:46 - 01:22:50 | Speaker 4:

Oh. I did that yesterday. My house is very Christmassy.

01:22:50 - 01:22:52 | Speaker 2:

Mojo, I have someone that wants to say hi to you.

01:22:52 - 01:22:56 | Speaker 3:

Who's that? Hi. Hey. What's your name?

01:22:57 - 01:22:58 | Speaker 2:

Alex.

01:22:58 - 01:23:01 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Alex. You got a cool daddy.

01:23:04 - 01:23:06 | Speaker 2:

Every morning. That is your daddy. Wait, that is your daddy.

01:23:08 - 01:23:24 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? Well, I love it. I love that you are such a horrible father that you would let your child listen to this show. No, we love you, Brett. Thanks. Turn them on early. We always say it's called longevity for us. What's going on, Sarah? How you doing?

01:23:25 - 01:23:26 | Speaker 6:

Good. How are you?

01:23:26 - 01:23:33 | Speaker 3:

Good, Sarah. We're talking to Shannon here this morning who's taking it personal that her family will let her do nothing for their Thanksgiving meal.

01:23:35 - 01:23:42 | Speaker 7:

Well, I'm in the same boat. I'm not allowed to cook because I burnt something one time seven years ago. so now I'm the babysitter for all my nieces and nephews.

01:23:42 - 01:23:42 | Speaker 1:

Oh, jeez.

01:23:43 - 01:23:45 | Speaker 4:

But what did you burn? What did you burn?

01:23:47 - 01:23:50 | Speaker 7:

The sweet potato casserole. Oh, that's one of my favorites. Yeah.

01:23:51 - 01:23:55 | Speaker 4:

But I would say out of all the dishes to burn, that's an overreaction for seven years.

01:23:56 - 01:23:59 | Speaker 3:

Now you're childcare. What's up, Rose?

01:24:00 - 01:24:02 | Speaker 6:

Hey, guys. How's it going? Good morning.

01:24:02 - 01:24:05 | Speaker 3:

Rose, who are you at Thanksgiving because you can't cook?

01:24:06 - 01:24:17 | Speaker 6:

Well, I'm almost 40 years old, And I don't expect that I need to bring anything, but I always like, I can bring the rolls. I can do that. I can go buy the rolls and somebody else can cook them.

01:24:18 - 01:24:25 | Speaker 3:

You know that you're the person that is not the cook when they tell you to bring the rolls or the water or wine.

01:24:25 - 01:24:25 | Speaker 6:

Yep.

01:24:26 - 01:24:26 | Speaker 3:

Right.

01:24:26 - 01:24:27 | Speaker 6:

Which I'm good with.

01:24:27 - 01:24:30 | Speaker 3:

You got beverage duties. That's the thing.

01:24:30 - 01:24:32 | Speaker 6:

That's nice and easy. Can't mess that up.

01:24:33 - 01:24:35 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Julie? How you doing? It's Mojo in the morning. Happy Thanksgiving.

01:24:36 - 01:24:37 | Speaker 5:

Happy Thanksgiving.

01:24:37 - 01:24:50 | Speaker 3:

getting hey mojo how you doing i'm doing good how are you we're doing good we're hoping that shannon takes lots of pictures of her family's cooking she's a great picture taker what's going

01:24:50 - 01:25:29 | Speaker 5:

on well i wanted to share that well i've been married for 28 years and my mother-in-law is so particular about what she puts on her Thank you.

01:25:00 - 01:25:23 | Speaker 1:

table every year she asked me to bring something kind of stupid like i asked her bonnie i know what can i bring uh for thanksgiving you know i want to contribute and she's like you can bring pickles pickles i'm like pickles i think is there anything else i can bring nope just bring some

01:25:23 - 01:25:31 | Speaker 4:

pickles just the pickles that's worse than rolls yeah it's almost like she's telling you she's giving you the middle pickle. That's pretty much what she's saying right there.

01:25:34 - 01:25:36 | Speaker 1:

I'll bring a really good pickle.

01:25:36 - 01:26:56 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, exactly. All right, well, take care of yourself. We love you. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you guys. All right. We're going to give you a chance to win a trip to Florida. We're still doing that this week. That's cool. Trip to Florida. All throughout winter, we're going to give you an opportunity to win from Visit Florida, win a $50 cash card, and then qualify. We're going to Tampa your chance to win 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 spend the winter in warm weather with visit florida lydia's gonna come in studio for this next topic here on the show she says that she's tired of it already and she's not gonna take it anymore she was talking to uh zach and i we were driving this weekend and we were in the car for a while and we were discussing you know relationships and things and Lydia says that it bothers her that she only has one type of guy that hits on her and she says that she's done with it and I said to her I go you know what you need to do you need to put these words out into the universe for one of two reasons number one to get the universe to stop this or number two to get these type of guys to stop it you You know? And honestly, if it works, it works, right?

01:26:56 - 01:26:57 | Speaker 2:

You got to do some manifesting.

01:26:58 - 01:27:01 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Is that what it is? It's literally manifesting.

01:27:01 - 01:27:08 | Speaker 2:

Well, oh my God. Yeah. But she has to manifest the specific kind of guy that she wants. I know she's got a list.

01:27:08 - 01:27:12 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Lydia, do you want to do it from that studio so you don't have to run in here?

01:27:12 - 01:27:13 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:27:13 - 01:27:13 | Speaker 3:

Can I do that?

01:27:13 - 01:27:16 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Is it okay with a video and all that stuff? Yeah.

01:27:17 - 01:27:18 | Speaker 3:

It's actually preferred that she stays there.

01:27:18 - 01:27:38 | Speaker 4:

Okay. You're preferred to stay there because KP is part of this topic too. chaos today cheap out lydia we're keeping you're you're being quarantined in my own studio today i haven't heard the word quarantine in a minute so who are the type of guys that uh that you say

01:27:38 - 01:27:45 | Speaker 3:

are the only guys that hit on you are like you guys over the age of 50 oh good for you what is

01:27:45 - 01:27:48 | Speaker 4:

That is Megan Serene.

01:27:49 - 01:27:51 | Speaker 3:

Congratulate me. No. Fam, that's a prime age.

01:27:51 - 01:27:52 | Speaker 4:

Money and death.

01:27:53 - 01:28:08 | Speaker 3:

You don't have to invest that much time to get his money. It seems like every time I meet an older man and I'm out with my friends, they come to me like I'm some magnet of some sort. But when it comes down to my friends, they are all attracting the younger men, including KP.

01:28:08 - 01:28:09 | Speaker 4:

Oh, man.

01:28:09 - 01:28:11 | Speaker 3:

Don't loop me into this.

01:28:11 - 01:28:13 | Speaker 2:

What is it about you, do you think?

01:28:13 - 01:28:23 | Speaker 3:

I think that I just might be looking older. No, you're not. Well, according to Mojo, actually, that's why I should say that. No, no, no. Mojo said, and he, no, don't, mm-mm.

01:28:23 - 01:28:24 | Speaker 4:

Okay, go ahead.

01:28:24 - 01:28:39 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no. When we were in the car, he said, well, when you're wearing makeup, you look, you know. Wait. You told me to get Botox today, and you're telling her that she looks younger with makeup on. Are you just lying to die?

01:28:40 - 01:28:42 | Speaker 4:

I said she looks, it makes her look more mature.

01:28:42 - 01:28:53 | Speaker 3:

I have asked I said mature I did not say is well that came after because older men have told me that they like my personality and they like how mature I am for my age tell everybody yeah tell

01:28:53 - 01:29:17 | Speaker 4:

everybody the line that got these old guys use with you all the time you're so mature you're so mature for your age by the way that is a that is a guy that is my age's way of saying I shouldn't be hitting on you because you are too young but I'm going to say this because I'm going to make you feel uh special that you actually can have a conversation and know who bon jovi is there is

01:29:17 - 01:29:34 | Speaker 3:

someone that we know yeah who's way older than me that told my mom that he would have put my a ring on my finger in a heartbeat had i been his age oh my god what did you say that to your mom that's so creepy what did your mom say my mom was like oh that's really nice like she actually thinks

01:29:34 - 01:30:29 | Speaker 4:

that it's a flattering thing to say actually can i tell you something that's interesting about the uh chaldeonian uh culture victor's dad calls him calls chaldeans chaldeonian um so what about the chaldeans is that i can sense that your dad and mom would have no problem with some old dude hitting on you where majority of parents would be running them away Thank you.

01:30:00 - 01:30:11 | Speaker 5:

That's because my dad is 12 years older than my mom. So, of course, he's going to give that blessing. Are you on dating apps right now? No, not at the moment. So what is your range? What's the oldest that you would want to go?

01:30:11 - 01:30:11 | Speaker 1:

36.

01:30:12 - 01:30:15 | Speaker 5:

Okay. And you are how old again? 27. Yeah.

01:30:15 - 01:31:12 | Speaker 2:

By the way, any guy that is over 50 years old, even though it's a dream come true to have a 27 year old girl. Like, you know, most guys that I know that get through, go through divorce. Even I thought this when Chelsea and I were going through struggles, I was like, man, I am definitely going to date a 20 something year old just to say I did it. And I would do it. And I would sit there at the table and everybody would go, is that your son's girlfriend? You know what I mean? It'd be like one of those type of things. But any guy that thinks that a relationship like that is going to work, you're crazy. You're absolutely nuts. And I'm speaking from a guy that literally is a 54-year-old guy that looks at my buddies and go, what are you doing? Like, it's nuts. And I don't know what you're looking for. I don't know if you're thinking the sex is going to be better or if you're thinking when you need your ass wiped, you're going to have somebody there that's going to wipe your ass. You know? And that's what a 27-year-old has to think about when they're with a guy that is that age.

01:31:12 - 01:31:18 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but if a 27-year-old wants to date somebody that old, you better have the money to pay somebody to wipe your ass because they're not going to do it.

01:31:18 - 01:31:20 | Speaker 2:

That is true. That is true.

01:31:20 - 01:31:21 | Speaker 1:

These guys got the money, though.

01:31:21 - 01:31:24 | Speaker 4:

That's my point. That's when they get these girls.

01:31:24 - 01:31:59 | Speaker 2:

All right. So we're putting this out in the universe, and we're also putting it out to the guys. Lydia is tired of this. It's time for guys that are her age to start looking at her and stop thinking that only the old guys are talking to her. So no more of this anymore. Oh, my God. I'm looking at the call screen here. All these guys. But Lydia, you are so beautiful and you are mature for your age. Lydia, it's because you're so smart. And that's the reason why these guys are finally looking for somebody smart. Oh, Christ. Who are these people? They're all dudes.

01:31:59 - 01:32:01 | Unknown:

Of course they are. Oh, my God.

01:32:01 - 01:32:07 | Speaker 5:

Lydia, how old was, like, the oldest guy that you've ever dated so far? 28. Okay.

01:32:08 - 01:32:15 | Speaker 2:

Hey, maybe this is your problem. Maybe you need to hang out with your mom's inner friends. Like, you need to hang out with older women.

01:32:15 - 01:32:18 | Speaker 5:

What do you mean? They're all hanging out with older guys.

01:32:18 - 01:32:41 | Speaker 2:

Because she says that when she hangs out with KP and her other friends that are her own age, all the guys their age go for them. And maybe she needs to, maybe she's hanging out with too many people her own age. She needs to hang out with older dudes or younger girls. I don't know. Maybe you need to see if there's any kids that are, you know, in high school that are looking for a friend or something. You need to change up your friends a little bit.

01:32:42 - 01:32:43 | Speaker 1:

Not happening.

01:32:45 - 01:32:52 | Speaker 2:

Hold on a second. Let me grab some of these calls. Do you mind if I just pick up? I'm going to do it. Hold on. Hi, Mojo in the morning. Are you an old man?

01:32:53 - 01:32:55 | Speaker 3:

No, this is Tom. Hey, Tom.

01:32:55 - 01:32:58 | Speaker 2:

Tom, you are an old man. How old are you, Tom?

01:33:00 - 01:33:02 | Speaker 3:

I'm 61. Here we go.

01:33:02 - 01:33:06 | Speaker 4:

I have no desire to date a 27-year-old. Come on, Tom. Tom. What about 30-year-olds? No.

01:33:07 - 01:33:29 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no, no, no, no. Tom, hey. My wife is beautiful, and I'm not doing it. But if you're 54 years old, and let's say you're dating a 30-year-old, and you conceive a child, so that means you're going to be when the kid's 20 and getting out of college or whatever, going to college, you're going to be 74? Yeah, these guys. You'd be like, oh, did you bring your grandpa with you?

01:33:29 - 01:33:41 | Speaker 2:

You know what? You should see what it's like already at Parents Weekend for me. I'm so out of shape having to walk campus in East Lansing. I can't imagine a 70-plus-year-old man. The only good thing is you'd get all the handicapped parking, I guess. You'd be okay.

01:33:41 - 01:33:44 | Speaker 3:

I guess that's a benefit.

01:33:44 - 01:33:58 | Speaker 2:

Tom, do you know any guys that are in their 20s at all? Do you have, like, family members or anything like that? Can you tell them that Lydia is beautiful and she is ready to date?

01:33:59 - 01:34:00 | Speaker 1:

And not interested in your friends.

01:34:02 - 01:34:08 | Speaker 3:

Well, she has to pick her own. You know, that's a love relationship that you've got to build. It's not going to just happen on its own.

01:34:09 - 01:34:10 | Speaker 4:

Oh, why not?

01:34:10 - 01:34:19 | Speaker 3:

Tom. That's why she... Because it's something you got to work at. I got married when I was young, like Mojo. I was 26 and my wife was 23.

01:34:20 - 01:34:20 | Speaker 2:

We're lucky, buddy.

01:34:20 - 01:34:22 | Speaker 3:

And we stayed together other 12 times.

01:34:22 - 01:34:22 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:34:22 - 01:34:25 | Speaker 3:

Oh, she's a good girl. I got lucky with it.

01:34:25 - 01:34:27 | Speaker 2:

We're blessed. We're both blessed. What's up, Gabby? How you doing?

01:34:29 - 01:34:29 | Speaker 1:

Morning.

01:34:29 - 01:34:31 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Gabby. What's going on?

01:34:33 - 01:34:44 | Speaker 1:

I was calling because I was married to someone 15 years older than me. I met him when I was 23. And I have the same issue. Always hit on my older men.

01:34:45 - 01:34:51 | Speaker 2:

Wait, do the math for me. You were 23. He was 15 years older. So he was what? Near 50? Not 50 yet, though, right?

01:34:52 - 01:34:53 | Speaker 1:

38.

01:34:53 - 01:35:11 | Speaker 2:

Oh, 38. So that's not horrible. Like, that's actually way better. Lydia, are you... are you okay with that are you okay would you could you date lydia a guy that's in his like mid-30s yeah that's she said 36 was her yeah so that's yeah gabby why did you guys not last what

01:35:11 - 01:35:32 | Speaker 4:

happened oh there were other reasons but i think in general i don't know what it is about older men and and why they're attracted to the younger woman because you don't know what it is it's all porn please yeah please come on we know what it is which you know what it is we're trying we're

01:35:32 - 01:35:51 | Speaker 2:

trying to it's the worst thing as guys i think guys look at it and they think okay look at this girl it's like you know she's hot young thing whatever and then i also think that uh they're trying not to uh they're trying to put off menopause or something i don't know they're trying not to have to deal with that i don't know i'm not gonna help yeah it does happen younger

01:35:51 - 01:36:03 | Speaker 6:

and younger what's up chelsea how you doing uh it's kelsey but oh kelsey i'm sorry i'm trying to you're good i've kind of got it roles reversed uh i'm 26 and my boyfriend's 38

01:36:03 - 01:36:18 | Speaker 2:

but it's better because he takes care of me then oh okay so you say lydia don't knock it till you try it you'll actually have somebody there to take care of you oh it's the best i swear like

01:36:18 - 01:36:22 | Speaker 6:

you don't ever have to worry about anything no responsibilities they're already used to taking

01:36:22 - 01:36:41 | Speaker 1:

care of responsibilities like yeah but again that age difference isn't so crazy to me in lydia's case these men are double her age yeah i mean to me there's a difference to me like for you guys it's 20s and 30s this is 20s and 50s you know who ruined it anna nicole smith was the one that

01:36:41 - 01:36:51 | Speaker 2:

ruined it ruined it she ruined i wouldn't say ruined it she had that old old old dude set the bar what's up i would describe it alissa what's up it's mojo in the morning we're talking about how

01:37:41 - 01:37:45 | Speaker 3:

Ronnie, what's up, Ronnie? Hey, what's up?

01:37:45 - 01:37:47 | Speaker 2:

Turn your radio down, Ronnie.

01:37:48 - 01:37:48 | Speaker 3:

What'd you say?

01:37:49 - 01:37:50 | Speaker 2:

What'd you say?

01:37:51 - 01:37:55 | Speaker 3:

No, I said long time, long time. Oh, I love it.

01:37:55 - 01:37:58 | Speaker 2:

I love it. There you go. What's going on, Ronnie?

01:37:59 - 01:38:09 | Speaker 3:

Hey, I'm 60, and my wife is 29, and I got a three-year-old and a six-year-old.

01:38:09 - 01:38:13 | Speaker 2:

Holy crap. Are you serious? Let's go. Oh, my God.

01:38:13 - 01:38:13 | Speaker 3:

I'm serious.

01:38:13 - 01:38:18 | Speaker 2:

Let me ask you, what's it like to be a 60-year-old guy with a 29-year-old vagina?

01:38:18 - 01:38:28 | Speaker 3:

You know, you've got to maintain, man, you know, because...

01:38:28 - 01:38:30 | Speaker 2:

How many blue pills do you have to take?

01:38:31 - 01:38:31 | Speaker 3:

What's that?

01:38:32 - 01:38:34 | Speaker 2:

How many blue pills do you have to take in order to maintain?

01:38:34 - 01:38:50 | Speaker 3:

I don't take any, man. I don't take any. Really? I'm good. um i i'm stuck in my 30s man i've i've quit having birthdays after that yeah question for

01:38:50 - 01:38:56 | Speaker 2:

you ronnie do you have any friends your age that are wealthy that would like to date lydia

01:38:56 - 01:39:03 | Speaker 3:

because she's looking for maybe uh another couple friend i i lived in the philippines for

01:39:03 - 01:39:15 | Speaker 2:

four years. Oh, geez. Oh, God. Okay. And, um, all my friends over there are my age and

01:39:15 - 01:39:44 | Speaker 3:

they all have, you know, 30 year old wives and kids and, you know, yeah. So, and we're all like resort bar or restaurant owners, you know, so we it could be more our wallets than you know our looks but, you know

01:39:44 - 01:39:45 | Speaker 2:

But you're okay with it?

01:39:46 - 01:39:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, I mean Filipino women are hot and they're like 50 to 1 over there, you know? All right.

01:39:58 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 2:

Well, Ronnie.

01:40:00 - 01:40:07 | Speaker 1:

I could talk to you all day, Ronnie, but I'm trying to find Lydia, somebody her age. I'm not, I don't know if I, you know.

01:40:07 - 01:40:08 | Speaker 3:

Do you have a son?

01:40:09 - 01:40:09 | Speaker 1:

Do you have a son?

01:40:10 - 01:40:13 | Speaker 3:

I have a three-year-old and a six-year-old.

01:40:13 - 01:40:15 | Speaker 1:

That's all he's got. You didn't have any kids earlier than that?

01:40:16 - 01:40:17 | Speaker 3:

Nope, nope.

01:40:18 - 01:40:23 | Speaker 1:

Okay, because I love these guys that are your age, that are dating girls that are 29, and they have kids that are 29.

01:40:25 - 01:40:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I know. i probably should have kids that age but yeah um most most people my age have grandkids wow well

01:40:34 - 01:40:46 | Speaker 1:

ronnie it was nice to talk to you and please tell your filipino wife that we said hello okay all right i'll do that all right how dare you she got him to listen to the show what's up smith

01:40:46 - 01:41:02 | Speaker 5:

how you doing hi how are you what's going on fine okay so first of all that's why i She doesn't want to date anybody in their 50s because look how that man was just talking. Oh, shit, I got a 56.

01:41:03 - 01:41:04 | Speaker 1:

Huh? Huh?

01:41:04 - 01:41:07 | Speaker 5:

What kind of conversation is that?

01:41:08 - 01:41:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Please protect our Lydia. Will we please tell these guys to stay away from her?

01:41:14 - 01:41:25 | Speaker 5:

Okay. Well, guess what? She doesn't want you guys to stay away. She only wants 30 and under. No, what, 30? 30 to 25. There we go. 30 to 25. No more than that.

01:41:25 - 01:41:28 | Speaker 1:

All right. Thanks, Smith. What's up, Avalyn? Hi.

01:41:29 - 01:41:43 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. How you doing, Mojo? Good morning, guys. Good morning. What's going on? So, listen, that last caller just had me in the car cracking up. He said that he got his wife from the Philippines. Did he get him a ready-made ride? You know the answer.

01:41:43 - 01:41:45 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yeah.

01:41:45 - 01:41:53 | Speaker 5:

Because he sounded like he was a little tipsy. Yeah. He was a parent's out of y'all, but he started drinking this morning.

01:41:54 - 01:42:15 | Speaker 1:

Thank you, Avalyn. We appreciate it. All right. Take care of yourself. You too. Bye. All right. I feel like we accomplished nothing with that topic for Lydia. I thought this was going to be a good thing for her to be able to put it out there in the universe. Instead, we got a new misfit. His name is Ronnie, the 60-year-old listener.

01:42:16 - 01:42:19 | Speaker 5:

It's the second date update. A mojo in the morning.

01:42:19 - 01:42:32 | Speaker 1:

Why are you not getting a call back after you went out on a date? You're getting ghosted? We're going to find out. Text DATE to 95500, and we will get you on the show. Gerald is on the phone with us right now. Hey, Gerald.

01:42:33 - 01:42:34 | Speaker 2:

Hey, good morning. How are you doing?

01:42:35 - 01:42:38 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. We're doing all right, Gerald. You're getting ghosted. You're not getting a call back?

01:42:39 - 01:42:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah. It looks that way, unfortunately.

01:42:42 - 01:42:44 | Speaker 1:

Have you ever been ghosted before?

01:42:47 - 01:42:59 | Speaker 2:

No, I don't think so. I mean, I've had some things that after a first date or a couple of dates, it hasn't gone anywhere. I don't think I've ever been in a situation where I haven't been able to get a response back.

01:42:59 - 01:43:03 | Speaker 1:

How many dates have you been on with this person?

01:43:04 - 01:43:15 | Speaker 2:

It was the first date. That's it. We knew each other a long time ago in high school, and then I reached out, and we went on the one date, but that was it.

01:43:15 - 01:43:22 | Speaker 1:

And so you guys reconnected after going to high school together, went out on one date, and now there's a disconnect again.

01:43:22 - 01:43:27 | Speaker 2:

And kaput, as you say, it looks like I'm being ghosted.

01:43:27 - 01:43:29 | Speaker 1:

How long ago were you guys in high school?

01:43:31 - 01:43:39 | Speaker 2:

So, let's see, I graduated in 1985. Okay. So, it was a while ago. It's coming up on 40 years.

01:43:40 - 01:43:50 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Okay. Wow. We're going to find out what's going on. I love these stories, by the way, people that reconnect with high school sweethearts. I do, too. Yep. Kimberly is on the phone with us right now. Kimberly, good morning. Hi.

01:43:50 - 01:43:53 | Speaker 4:

good morning

01:43:53 - 01:44:08 | Speaker 1:

Kimberly we have somebody special on the phone I think you could hear on hold couldn't you I did yes will you say hello to Gerald who's obviously still interested in you and wondering if you're still interested in him

01:44:08 - 01:44:10 | Speaker 4:

hi Gerald

01:44:10 - 01:44:13 | Speaker 2:

hi Kim how are you doing

01:44:13 - 01:44:15 | Speaker 4:

good good

01:44:15 - 01:44:21 | Speaker 1:

so what's the story are you just busy or Or are you not interested in that?

01:44:24 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 4:

Well, it seems that Gerald, he's a very nice guy. He is. But Gerald's a little stuck on high school. We were talking a lot about high school, and he referenced his high school coach I don't know how many times. and really the topic just kept coming back to high school, high school, high school and that was so long ago. I wanted to know, you know, who is he now? I don't want to date.

01:45:00 - 01:45:20 | Speaker 2:

high school, Gerald. That makes sense to me, though, because that's your that's your one thing you, yeah, that you have in common, and you both would have a lot of things to talk about as it relates to being in high school together. That wouldn't bother me that much. He still wears his class ring. Okay.

01:45:22 - 01:45:22 | Speaker 5:

That'll do it.

01:45:23 - 01:45:26 | Speaker 2:

Gerald, do you actually wear it all the time, or did you just wear it for the day?

01:45:28 - 01:45:42 | Speaker 3:

I don't wear it all the time i you know well it's not like i don't ever wear it i wear it every now and then but i did think it would be you know kind of to bring us back to that time i put it on

01:45:42 - 01:45:49 | Speaker 1:

did you have your letterman's jacket i was just gonna ask that dang what else what other things

01:45:49 - 01:45:57 | Speaker 3:

yeah i don't i don't fit into that quite as i think that's kind of funny if he's just trying

01:45:57 - 01:45:59 | Speaker 2:

He said he doesn't wear it all the time.

01:45:59 - 01:46:43 | Speaker 4:

I have two of our friends that we went to high school together that reconnected and now are married. And Jeff Obradovich and Jonah Polito. And by the way, they kind of saw each other in high school, even in grade school. Reconnected. Now they have a family together. It's wild to see them together. And then to know that they, around their house, I wonder, have pictures of when they were in school together. Like dances and stuff. because I always thought that would have been kind of an interesting thing to see like couples that do reconnect and if you are those couples do you find yourselves talking a ton about it like is he out of line for talking a lot about his high school because you and I Shannon feel like it's not that big of a deal

01:46:43 - 01:46:55 | Speaker 2:

it's just one date right or did I miss here it's just been one date yeah that's like of course you're going to go back to that because that's where you guys know each other from I get that.

01:46:55 - 01:47:07 | Speaker 1:

I get that. But it would also be a big turnoff for me. Yeah. Like, I don't even remember everybody's name from high school. So, like, when people try to reminisce with me and they're like, you remember so-and-so? And I go, no. We had a class with this guy.

01:47:07 - 01:47:14 | Speaker 4:

We did? I don't know who that is. Have you ever been out and bumped into somebody and they say, hey, remember me from high school? You're like, I have no clue.

01:47:14 - 01:47:22 | Speaker 1:

There is a reason why Kiki Palmer's I am sorry to this man, but I don't know who he is, is my most quoted line. Because I don't remember anybody.

01:47:22 - 01:47:37 | Speaker 2:

I just feel like this is very premature that you're ghosting him because if this was the second date or the fourth date or, you know, a few dates in and this is still all he harped on was your time in high school, I would be a little nervous. But first date, meh. That's fair.

01:47:37 - 01:47:43 | Speaker 4:

Text her here saying, this guy is Cousin Rico. Do you remember the, remember that movie at all?

01:47:43 - 01:47:43 | Speaker 1:

No.

01:47:43 - 01:47:46 | Speaker 4:

You don't remember Napoleon Dynamite?

01:47:47 - 01:47:48 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yes. See?

01:47:48 - 01:48:06 | Speaker 4:

But it was Uncle Rico, wasn't it? Uncle Rico, not Cousin Rico. throwing the football yeah 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is our telephone number um kimberly you obviously thought that there was something to gerald that got you guys starting

01:48:06 - 01:48:18 | Speaker 5:

to talk again i mean yeah like i said he is a very nice guy you know uh i didn't really know him in high school i mean you know we knew of each other but i didn't know him but so you guys

01:48:18 - 01:48:24 | Speaker 4:

never really dated in high school you guys just went to school together yeah and it just seemed

01:48:24 - 01:48:30 | Speaker 5:

like that's all he wanted to talk i mean when i say he quoted his his coach like five times

01:48:30 - 01:48:38 | Speaker 1:

good coach though left an influence i would quote dan campbell all the time so i get it

01:48:38 - 01:49:06 | Speaker 6:

india what's up so i dated my high school sweetheart we were separated for like 12 13 years i moved away to california moved back we got we were kindled got married we'll be married 20 years tomorrow and what i will say is we never talk about high school never talk about high school it's a wrap on that i mean it's fun and we see the people out but yeah no i just guess

01:49:06 - 01:49:27 | Speaker 2:

i feel like when you go out on a first date with somebody especially you you tend to talk about that one thing that brought you together more than you normally would, right? Like, I think about the first time that Wes and I went out and we talked about the mutual friend that we both had. We don't talk about that guy at, like, hardly at all anymore. But that was the one thing that we had in common.

01:49:28 - 01:49:29 | Speaker 4:

Christina, what did you want to say about Gerald?

01:49:31 - 01:49:32 | Speaker 2:

I think...

01:49:32 - 01:49:38 | Speaker 6:

I'm getting embarrassed now. I think Gerald sounds like a hot, older man and she should give him another chance.

01:49:38 - 01:49:40 | Speaker 4:

Really? Okay. You hear that?

01:49:41 - 01:49:44 | Speaker 6:

He sounds funny and charming. He does seem charming.

01:49:45 - 01:49:45 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:49:46 - 01:49:46 | Speaker 6:

He does.

01:49:47 - 01:49:49 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, he seems really nice. Jordan, what's up? It's Mojo on the Morning. Hi.

01:49:51 - 01:49:51 | Speaker 6:

Hi.

01:49:52 - 01:49:53 | Speaker 4:

Hey, what'd you want to say?

01:49:54 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 6:

I'm just going to say, like, my boyfriend and I, we're high school sweethearts. We've known each other since first grade.

01:50:00 - 01:50:08 | Speaker 4:

But we kind of try to stay away from high school a little bit too much. But I don't think there's anything wrong with talking about it on a first date.

01:50:09 - 01:50:14 | Speaker 2:

Do you guys go back and do anything like at your school? Like have you guys gone to a reunion together as a couple?

01:50:17 - 01:50:19 | Speaker 4:

No, we're not really interested in seeing any of those people.

01:50:20 - 01:51:04 | Speaker 2:

Really? Because I always wondered how that would be. And our friends that are in this situation, everybody gets excited about it because we all kind of remember everybody together, you know? So it is kind of neat to see people still kind of being friends with everybody. But I think Gerald seems like a nice guy. I really do. And I think that Gerald, I'm hoping that maybe Kimberly will just think that it's just one time. And if she does give you another chance, I would suggest maybe come up with some current people to talk about, not just your coach. I've got other rings. I like this. See that? He is charming. I got other jewelry. I have no jewelry at all.

01:51:04 - 01:51:04 | Speaker 4:

All right.

01:51:04 - 01:51:12 | Speaker 1:

This is the home of the dirty on the 30. Throwback Throwdown. Second date update. In War of the Roses, this is Mojo in the Morning.

01:51:14 - 01:51:24 | Speaker 2:

All right. We're going to give you a chance to go to Jingle Ball right now. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. Got to clear my throat there.

01:51:24 - 01:51:24 | Speaker 3:

Hmm.

01:51:25 - 01:52:06 | Speaker 2:

Ah. Yeah, I know. That was my, we talked for how long? Have we talked? What is going on? Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho Shannon with a dirty eye.

01:52:13 - 01:52:14 | Speaker 4:

What a game.

01:52:15 - 01:52:27 | Speaker 5:

You guys, the Lions 10-1 for the first time since 1934. Is that nuts? Insane. I know. Coach Dan Campbell after the game yesterday.

01:52:28 - 01:53:09 | Speaker 7:

That's a good job. That's 10. That's nine in a row. How many of you guys have won nine in a row here in the NFL? Raise your hand. Yeah, I'm saying something. It's rare. All right, we're in rare air right now. We were 2-6 in 2022. We had just beaten Green Bay at home. We had not won a road game in two years, AG, Ben, right? We were all 11-1. All 11-1 on the road, 21, half of 22. And then we went to Chicago and got it. We got our first oven. Since then, we're 16-5 on the road, man. And every one of you are a part of that. Every one of you are a part of that. That's big, man. 16-5 on the road, all right? So we're road warriors. We're also damn good at home. Good win, man. That's number two.

01:53:09 - 01:53:14 | Speaker 5:

By the way, if you were a little worried about David Montgomery, he's going to be good to go for Thursday's game against the Bears. Good.

01:53:15 - 01:53:17 | Speaker 6:

Dan Campbell's in his last year of his contract, right?

01:53:17 - 01:53:20 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I thought we reconnected him. I don't know.

01:53:21 - 01:53:24 | Speaker 6:

I was like, how much money is that man going to get in his next negotiation?

01:53:25 - 01:53:55 | Speaker 2:

Well, they say that his endorsement money is huge. Like, he's asking a lot to do endorsements. And, man, I think he does a great job with them. But I'm a little worried about Green Bay and worried about Minnesota, too. I mean, who would have thought that we would be in the North, which is the best of any in the NFL, you know? Like, I saw that game. I saw the Minnesota game beating Chicago in overtime. And then Green Bay just seemed like they destroyed the 49ers. What happened to the 49ers?

01:53:55 - 01:54:05 | Speaker 6:

Dude, I don't know, but watching that game was hard. But I wanted the Bears to beat the Vikings so bad just to make it. Like, our division, we can't be this good and have our division also be this good.

01:54:05 - 01:54:47 | Speaker 2:

I know. It can't work that way. And Kansas City almost lost to the Charlotte Panthers. The Carolina Panthers. I'm sorry. What are they? I'm a sports guy. It's Mike Valeni here. What, 97-1 the ticket? By the way, no wonder why when I call there during a show to make a comment, they never take my calls. Do you really call them? I've called before. She does. Because I listen and I'll be like, you know, hey, I want to ask Mike if he's ever happy about anything. And they never will take my calls whenever I call there because he's always hating everything. I'm like, Mike, there's got to be something that you're happy about. Mike, let's talk about your beautiful family, your beautiful wife of yours.

01:54:48 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 5:

Khalid is putting those rumors to rest. Yes, he is a gay man. And he said, okay, you know, let's move on already. He posted a rainbow emoji.

01:55:00 - 01:55:27 | Speaker 3:

a set of exclamation points and wrote there y'all go and next topic please i am gay he wrote it that way yes because there is no bigger homosexual than me he wrote i got outed and the world still continues to turn let's get this straight lmao who i'm not ashamed of my sexuality it really ain't nobody's business but i am okay with me yeah and he said i wasn't he wasn't hiding anything it just wasn't anybody's business that he felt like he needed to come out and talk

01:55:27 - 01:55:41 | Speaker 2:

about it do you think that a lot of these artists don't want to do it because when they're doing these songs and they're writing this kind of like love songs they're worried that people won't like because i look at sam smith and i'm thinking sam smith is about as open as can be i think sometimes

01:55:41 - 01:56:12 | Speaker 4:

though once you come out as um an lgbtq ya plus artist you get pigeonholed into making and i quote like gay music so i think a lot of times artists don't want that until they can establish themselves as an artist for everybody. Yes. I love gay music. I agree. I'm into it. I think SZA had one of the best lines ever when she was asked in an interview do you make gay music and she goes yeah next question and I was like yes!

Okay a judge rejected this suggestion this is so dumb. A judge rejected the suggestion that Diddy be placed under house arrest on a private island while he awaits his trial in may diddy and his legal team appeared in court for a bail hearing on friday afternoon in new york city and this is just about the dumbest thing i've ever heard his attorneys proposed that diddy be detained at his house on star island in florida that's one of the mansions that was raided by the feds back in march the private islands or the private home i should say there's only one way on and off this island well the judge immediately rejected that idea like you're not going on a vacation, essentially. You're supposed to be in jail. So Diddy's counsel then offered an alternative solution where he could be under house arrest at his Upper East Side apartment in New York City. That suggestion included 24-7 security with two guards on the property with Diddy, while an additional guard would be stationed downstairs. So a decision on whether Diddy will be allowed to do that is expected this week. I'm guessing the answer is going to be no.

01:57:19 - 01:57:26 | Speaker 2:

I don't remember what happened with Jeffrey Epstein, but did Jeffrey Epstein go right into prison and had to stay there the whole time?

01:57:26 - 01:57:27 | Speaker 3:

He never left.

01:57:27 - 01:57:28 | Speaker 2:

He did?

01:57:28 - 01:57:28 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

01:57:28 - 01:57:30 | Speaker 2:

Okay, because I did not know that.

01:57:30 - 01:57:40 | Speaker 3:

I don't understand why Diddy thinks that he is above everybody else and can just stay at one of his homes that to pretty much any of us would be the most amazing vacation ever.

01:57:40 - 01:57:47 | Speaker 4:

Which, by the way, he's a huge flight risk. So why would anybody allow him to leave? He'll leave the country.

01:57:47 - 01:57:48 | Speaker 3:

Witness tampering. Correct.

01:57:49 - 01:57:49 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:57:49 - 01:58:09 | Speaker 3:

All right, Adele told her final audience at the Coliseum Theater at Caesars in Vegas on Saturday night. She doesn't know when she's going to perform again. She made this goodbye speech. It was very emotional, thanking her 14-year-old son, Angelo, and her partner. They're not married. They're engaged, right? I can't keep track. Anyway, Rich Paul was there as well.

01:58:10 - 01:58:13 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's me. Oh, you want me to do it? You guys, no.

01:58:13 - 01:58:16 | Speaker 3:

I'm just not used to playing my own audio, and I love it, but I get used to it.

01:58:16 - 01:58:36 | Speaker 1:

There we go. It's been amazing. and so patient with being so incredible to Live Nation, to my son. I chose to do a residency, maybe because I f***ing hate touring, but I chose to do a residency so I could keep his life normal.

01:58:36 - 01:59:20 | Speaker 3:

I literally have a huge note to myself. You play this one. I still missed it. Over the summer, Adele did tell fans she would take a break from making music. when her residency concluded, but I'm sure she'll be performing and making music again. And lastly, a teacher is no longer employed in Mississippi after she accidentally gave her students dog treats. Oh, gee. The class was celebrating the birthday of one of the students. The teacher gave them what she thought was beef jerky, which I have a problem with that if you think that's a birthday treat, but okay. One of the students then got a stomachache, had to go to the doctor. School officials didn't say what grade the teacher was in charge of, But do say she's no longer employed. You can stop the story now.

01:59:20 - 01:59:21 | Speaker 2:

We have potluck today.

01:59:21 - 01:59:22 | Speaker 3:

Very, very ill.

01:59:22 - 01:59:26 | Speaker 4:

So either that was very intentional. I don't know if you could find it for that.

01:59:26 - 01:59:35 | Speaker 3:

But also, have you all had your dog's pepperoni? Those are nasty. That's what my dogs love. Those are nasty. Listen, they're not that nasty.

01:59:36 - 01:59:40 | Speaker 2:

When it's desperate and you can't get a door dash to the house.

01:59:40 - 01:59:44 | Speaker 3:

All right. For all today's dirty, catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or major in the morning.

02:00:47 - 02:00:49 | Speaker 3:

Thank you. I did one thing with all tickets.

02:00:49 - 02:01:01 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Who's that? Who's that in the background? Oh, it's my coworker, Marcy. Marcy. Hi, Marcy. Keep listening for more tickets. Happy Thanksgiving. Have a great Thanksgiving, guys.

02:01:01 - 02:01:02 | Speaker 2:

I'm so excited.

02:01:03 - 02:01:18 | Speaker 1:

Have the best time. We'll see you there. Teddy Swims and Jack Harlow and everybody. All right, don't go anywhere. We're going to get some information from you. Lydia will pick up next. We'll be right back. Oh, speaking of Lydia, the text I accidentally sent her this weekend. It's so embarrassing. Don't go anywhere.

02:01:18 - 02:01:21 | Speaker 3:

I can't take another bite of food. I'm stuffed.

02:01:22 - 02:01:24 | Speaker 2:

Oh, pie? Yeah, I'll take some pie.

02:01:24 - 02:01:27 | Speaker 3:

Happy Thanksgiving from Mojo in the Morning.

02:01:28 - 02:02:25 | Speaker 1:

thanksgiving is going to be so much fun this year so we're doing something that we have not done in so long we're doing our thanksgiving at the lions game we're going to do the whole thing we're going to tailgate downtown we're going to go to our friends the old blocks they actually do a tailgate where they do turkey and stuffing and all that stuff. We're going to hang out with those guys. I'm going to mooch off of them and then I'm going to go inside and I'm going to go eat like I've never eaten before in my life. And I think I've made the call. I think I'm not going to take my Monjurno shot this week just for the case of not that I don't care about my health, but this week is a week that you shouldn't care about your health. You know what I mean?

02:02:25 - 02:02:29 | Speaker 3:

Do they do special Thanksgiving themed food at Ford Field on Thursday?

02:02:29 - 02:02:47 | Speaker 1:

So I went, the last time I went to a game on Thanksgiving was they played the Bears and it was maybe a decade ago. And I remember eating Thanksgiving inside somebody's, somebody invited us up to their suite. So we got to sit in their suite. I don't know if necessarily the concession stands have a turkey and stuffing section.

02:02:47 - 02:02:47 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:02:48 - 02:02:49 | Speaker 1:

But I know that in the suites they do.

02:02:49 - 02:02:49 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:02:50 - 02:03:11 | Speaker 1:

So we don't have suite tickets. These tickets were so expensive. I bought tickets from friends I kind of like put them all together And said hey And then I was telling you this Shannon Every favor I could call upon I would call people and just go Hey I know you got tickets to the game But my family really wants And I swear to God I could not believe how many people were like Hey here you go And people were so nice

02:03:11 - 02:03:12 | Speaker 3:

Because you are that to everybody

02:03:12 - 02:03:13 | Speaker 1:

Oh you're sweet

02:03:13 - 02:03:14 | Speaker 3:

All the time

02:03:14 - 02:03:17 | Speaker 1:

But also I think that they wanted to stay home too They wanted to fight the crowd

02:03:17 - 02:03:18 | Speaker 3:

No way

02:03:18 - 02:03:50 | Speaker 1:

Downtown But it was nice It was very nice So we're going to the game And I want you to go too And I want you to have a chance to go, and that's why we're giving away a $1,000 gift card, a StubHub gift card, so that you can use it to buy tickets to Thursday's game. Which, by the way, the seats are so expensive, so I think it will just barely cover it. But if you want tickets, or if you want the $1,000 gift card, courtesy of Zod Ford and Papa Romanos, it's our turkey shoot tomorrow. You'd have to be able to come to the studios tomorrow. Lydia, have you heard from Mr. Turkey?

02:03:51 - 02:03:51 | Speaker 2:

I have not.

02:03:52 - 02:03:55 | Speaker 1:

He did not respond to your even calls earlier this morning?

02:03:55 - 02:03:58 | Speaker 2:

No, which is interesting because I feel like I'm his favorite on the show.

02:03:59 - 02:04:02 | Speaker 1:

Is he going into hiding, you think? Or what do you think?

02:04:02 - 02:04:04 | Speaker 2:

There's no way. I will knock on that door if he cancels.

02:04:05 - 02:04:34 | Speaker 1:

So Victor, Misfit Victor, was the turkey last year. He did such a great job as the turkey. I actually think. That's a plan, by the way. Hold on. I think I have pictures. You guys want to see the pictures of what Victor looked like as the turkey last year? Yes. He sends them to me all the time. he's memed himself out here here you go he's turned himself into a uh i'm putting that i'm putting this into this is victor right there oh the middle finger he's giving the bird is giving

02:04:34 - 02:04:38 | Speaker 3:

the bird he stuffed himself with like pillows and stuff right he had a little bit of stuffing

02:04:38 - 02:04:43 | Speaker 1:

on there but he he had welts afterwards no everybody does it doesn't matter what you do

02:04:43 - 02:04:58 | Speaker 3:

you that's okay so my backup plan i'm gonna propose this because in the event that victor doesn't show up, which I don't think will be the case. What about deep voice Brendan from our sales department? You think he would do it? Think about the gobble, gobble.

02:05:00 - 02:05:01 | Speaker 2:

Do you think he would do it?

02:05:01 - 02:05:04 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. That's the backup plan. I would not do that.

02:05:04 - 02:05:32 | Speaker 2:

Have Colleen ask if he will do it. He's here. I saw him. He'll never turn down Colleen. I think Victor's going to do it. I don't think we're going to have a problem with that. Okay. Because we're doing it on Tuesday and we're doing it early enough. Lydia says that we're shooting before eight. We have to because some of the businesses that we're doing this with. Christos, our landlord, is letting us use the alley here. That was the biggest thing about moving downtown was the fear was we're not going to have any area to go do our shenanigans in.

02:05:33 - 02:05:35 | Speaker 1:

So we got to be good kids.

02:05:35 - 02:05:49 | Speaker 2:

We got to, yeah, we got to be neighbors. Plus, I don't know how good of an idea it is to be shooting paintball guns in downtown Detroit. I can only imagine that the new police chief will be like, ah, I don't think that's going to fly.

02:05:51 - 02:05:52 | Speaker 1:

Well, turkeys fly.

02:05:52 - 02:06:03 | Speaker 2:

So we're going to have a, we have to have a little talk about, although we're big, you know what? We're now tax-paying members of this community, right? We pay these Detroit taxes now.

02:06:03 - 02:06:05 | Speaker 1:

Some of us have been paying those Detroit taxes.

02:06:05 - 02:06:16 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I'll tell you what. I'll start working from home, and you ain't getting any of my salary, guys, if you don't allow us to do this. Hold on a second. Lori, would you like to be in our turkey shoot tomorrow?

02:06:17 - 02:06:18 | Speaker 3:

I would love to.

02:06:18 - 02:06:25 | Speaker 2:

All right. Congratulations to you. You're going to get you in. You're one of the qualifiers for this. Lori.

02:06:26 - 02:06:27 | Speaker 3:

Thank you so much.

02:06:27 - 02:06:28 | Speaker 2:

Where do you work?

02:06:29 - 02:06:30 | Speaker 3:

I'm in Brighton.

02:06:31 - 02:06:51 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so it's not that bad of a drive. You can make it downtown fairly quick. And then Thursday, if you win this thing, Thursday, you'll be down here. They have the turkey trot, the parade, and then the big game, which I believe, if I'm not mistaken, it is. It's the first game, and it's on CBS this year if you're not going to be coming to the game.

02:06:52 - 02:06:56 | Speaker 3:

I will be because I'm going to win. I love it. I like it.

02:06:56 - 02:07:26 | Speaker 2:

i love it laurie from brighton hang on the phone for just one second thank you let me grab uh another person here we got jennifer from allen park is also in on this hi jen hello congratulations to you it's our annual turkey shoot happy thanksgiving yay i'm excited so i have no plans for thanksgiving so really wait like like no family is invite you over no no i don't have

02:07:26 - 02:07:31 | Speaker 3:

family that gets together so it would be me and football but why not football downtown right hey

02:07:31 - 02:07:39 | Speaker 2:

i like it that's you know what that's an interesting one i never thought about that but some families don't celebrate thanksgiving what is what's the reason you guys not get along or

02:07:39 - 02:07:43 | Speaker 3:

what's the story well ever since you know how it goes ever since your one grandma that holds the

02:07:43 - 02:08:21 | Speaker 2:

family together goes oh geez we gotta start a new tradition separate way we're gonna we're gonna to invite you instead. You're going to be invited to the Oblox tailgate. Ellen and Heather are like, why are you inviting me? That's what Thanksgiving was. You're going to be some guy that was wearing a funny hat like they were wearing back in the day. We're inviting everybody. All right? We all get together and we all eat together. Hold on one second. You're now qualified for this. Stop for one second. Is that all for now, or are you good with that?

02:08:21 - 02:08:24 | Speaker 3:

No, listen, I think I got a guy on the line. Oh, you got a guy. We should probably get one in.

02:08:24 - 02:08:27 | Speaker 2:

Get one guy. There have all been women so far.

02:08:27 - 02:08:34 | Speaker 1:

I know. So hold on. Give me one second. I feel like we do it, like we pick randomly. Mm-hmm. It has been all women, hasn't it?

02:08:34 - 02:08:40 | Speaker 2:

Well, that was the point. I think the whole point was since Fletch did it back in the day, I think Fletch was our first turkey.

02:08:40 - 02:08:41 | Speaker 1:

I feel like I don't remember.

02:08:41 - 02:08:45 | Speaker 2:

He did not like the idea of guys, because I wanted to have snipers.

02:08:45 - 02:08:46 | Speaker 1:

Right, right.

02:08:46 - 02:08:51 | Speaker 2:

Like, I wanted the guy that took out Osama bin Laden to be the guy shooting him.

02:08:51 - 02:08:53 | Speaker 1:

I am SEAL Team 6.

02:08:53 - 02:09:01 | Speaker 2:

And he would not do it. So we always said, all right, then we'll have women. But if we have the three women on the show do the shooting, which I think would be funny.

02:09:02 - 02:09:10 | Speaker 1:

You better watch out. I would love to try it. Wouldn't that be great? Y'all better watch out. Megan would kick our butts. Y'all better hope. I get you.

02:09:10 - 02:09:14 | Speaker 2:

Plus, if it's Victor with you, you guys have this sexual tension with each other.

02:09:14 - 02:09:21 | Speaker 1:

It's not sexual. Well, it's pure anger and hatred, not sexual, even a little bit, just full of disrespect and attitude.

02:09:21 - 02:09:24 | Speaker 2:

On whose part? Oh, come on.

02:09:25 - 02:09:33 | Speaker 1:

You know what? I have screenshots of comments he's left. I can pull up the air checks of the calls he's made. I do not treat him the way he treats me.

02:09:33 - 02:09:36 | Speaker 2:

He bought you security for your house. He got you a memory of that?

02:09:36 - 02:09:40 | Speaker 1:

I threw it away because I was absolutely sure it had a microphone in it.

02:09:40 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Oh, come on. He cared about you. He does, still does. I did. Andre. Hi, how are you doing? Would you like to be part of a shooting in Detroit tomorrow for the turkey shoot? Oh, yeah, definitely. This is the only kind that are allowed. It's a Thanksgiving tradition on the Mojo in the Morning show that we're bringing to our new facilities here.

02:10:00 - 02:10:21 | Speaker 3:

You're in. Congratulations. Thank you very much. All right. People are wondering, who are these people? Who are these qualifiers? Well, you should know all these people who are qualified for this right now are all people that have a potential to win a $1,000 gift card. Hold on. Is this Ronnie, the 60-year-old guy that's with the 30-year-old or 20-something-year-old?

02:10:22 - 02:10:26 | Speaker 2:

That's me. Hi, Ronnie. I'm trying to win some Lions tickets.

02:10:26 - 02:10:44 | Speaker 3:

Ronnie, I saw you calling. You called earlier this morning and you told us about how you're 60 with a 29-year-old. Do you ever worry, Ronnie, of while you guys are making love with each other that you're going to, like, have a heart attack and die because she's so young and vibrant?

02:10:44 - 02:10:59 | Speaker 2:

No. No, I mean, wait till you see. Let me come to this Lions event because I need to win tickets. But you'll see, I don't look 60, I don't think. What do you look?

02:10:59 - 02:11:03 | Speaker 3:

If you're 60 years old and you say you don't look 60, how old do you think you look?

02:11:05 - 02:11:08 | Speaker 2:

Probably about like 42, maybe. Okay.

02:11:09 - 02:11:15 | Speaker 3:

And does your girl look like she's older than 29? So it makes you guys not look as awkward?

02:11:15 - 02:11:25 | Speaker 2:

No, no. Actually, people thought I was with an underage girl. oh my god can we stop

02:11:25 - 02:11:26 | Speaker 3:

no this is great

02:11:26 - 02:11:31 | Speaker 2:

seriously she's 29 for real but she looks

02:11:31 - 02:11:38 | Speaker 3:

when you're at the table when you're at the table and you're eating dinner do people think that you're with your daughter

02:11:38 - 02:11:46 | Speaker 2:

no no not I mean I'll show you pictures of her

02:11:46 - 02:11:50 | Speaker 3:

but text us a picture Lydia are you okay

02:11:50 - 02:11:53 | Speaker 1:

I don't think we can get text pictures. Come on and DM us on Facebook.

02:11:53 - 02:11:56 | Speaker 3:

Are you on the Facebook?

02:11:59 - 02:12:02 | Speaker 2:

Um, on your, on 955?

02:12:02 - 02:12:06 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the morning. Are you on, are you on our Facebook? Do you follow us on Facebook?

02:12:08 - 02:12:10 | Speaker 2:

Um. I gotta see what this guy looks like. I am, but not.

02:12:11 - 02:12:12 | Speaker 3:

All right, so here, hold on.

02:12:12 - 02:12:13 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'll send it.

02:12:13 - 02:12:21 | Speaker 3:

Lydia's gonna grab some information, or give you some information on how to do all this stuff. You're going to need some help, I think. Okay?

02:12:22 - 02:12:24 | Speaker 1:

Put him on a hold, but also pick up Victor.

02:12:25 - 02:12:27 | Speaker 3:

All right, hold on, hold on. Does Victor want to talk to Ronnie?

02:12:28 - 02:12:28 | Speaker 1:

I want him to.

02:12:28 - 02:12:33 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God, hold on. Let's do it. Hey, hey, Misfit Victor, what's up, buddy?

02:12:35 - 02:12:35 | Speaker 1:

Hello?

02:12:36 - 02:12:36 | Speaker 3:

Victor.

02:12:37 - 02:12:38 | Speaker 2:

Are you okay, Victor?

02:12:39 - 02:12:40 | Speaker 3:

Where are you? Victor, you're at work, right?

02:12:43 - 02:12:46 | Speaker 2:

I drive for work, so I'm in my car, yeah. Not you.

02:12:46 - 02:12:55 | Speaker 3:

No, Ronnie, be quiet for one second. Victor, did you hear Ronnie call us earlier this morning? Yes, I did. You're on with Ronnie?

02:12:56 - 02:12:58 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Hey, Ron. How you doing?

02:12:58 - 02:13:00 | Speaker 2:

Hey. How are you?

02:13:00 - 02:13:02 | Speaker 1:

Are you calling to volunteers tribute?

02:13:05 - 02:13:09 | Speaker 3:

Ronnie might be the next year Thanksgiving turkey for us.

02:13:10 - 02:13:12 | Speaker 1:

Remind him of when he fought in the Civil War.

02:13:16 - 02:13:31 | Speaker 3:

Hold on. Hold on, Ronnie. I'm putting you on hold. Oh, this is too confusing here for a second. Victor, we're getting a lot of good contestants. What do you think about the fact that, like throwback throwdown, where these guys play for the contestants? We have Shannon, Megan, and KP do the shooting.

02:13:34 - 02:13:35 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's great.

02:13:37 - 02:13:38 | Speaker 3:

You know, I thought you would like that better.

02:13:39 - 02:13:48 | Speaker 1:

Well, I mean, last year you were like, oh, let's find a, oh, this is Cheryl. Cheryl, what do you do for a living? I'm a retired sniper from the U.S. Army.

02:13:49 - 02:13:52 | Speaker 2:

I forgot about that. I forgot about that. No, and that was Victor.

02:14:03 - 02:14:10 | Speaker 3:

And that was a million percent random. I can't even talk. It was so damn funny. You know what? I had a weird.

02:14:10 - 02:14:22 | Speaker 1:

The other years, the other years previous to that, like half your shooters were missing an eye or cross-eyed. last year they're like professional marksmen yeah i just this weird feeling that it's time

02:15:59 - 02:16:04 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but you guys always say that. And then, like, I show up and it's like.

02:16:04 - 02:16:06 | Speaker 1:

You're wearing the costume for two hours.

02:16:06 - 02:16:14 | Speaker 2:

No, it's not about the costume. It's like going to get a, whatever, tooth removed or.

02:16:15 - 02:16:16 | Speaker 1:

It's like going to Dr. Warner's office.

02:16:18 - 02:16:44 | Speaker 2:

Not that bad. It's like if you're sitting here and you find out, oh, your execution is tomorrow at noon, and you show up at noon, they strap you a gurney, and you're like, oh, but first we're going to do War of the Roses, and then we're going to do M.I.N.A. Hole, and then you're sitting there waiting to die, and everybody's just doing, oh, wait, hold on one second. Let's talk to Steve Gabarro. It goes on forever and ever and ever.

02:16:45 - 02:16:46 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you know me too well.

02:16:46 - 02:16:48 | Speaker 2:

Story of me and Lydia's life.

02:16:48 - 02:16:53 | Speaker 1:

Hold on, hold on. Joe, would you like to shoot Misfit Victor in our turkey shoot?

02:16:53 - 02:17:02 | Speaker 2:

02:17:03 - 02:17:03 | Unknown:

02:17:04 - 02:17:06 | Speaker 2:

Victor! You'll find out soon.

02:17:09 - 02:17:11 | Speaker 1:

Thank you for serving, buddy. Thank you for your service.

02:17:12 - 02:17:15 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for your service. Thank you. Appreciate it, appreciate it.

02:17:15 - 02:18:49 | Speaker 1:

All right, it is Mojo in the morning. I have a really big problem with the people from Apple that make the iPhone. I'm going to go on record that I'm filing a class action lawsuit against you. For what? So yesterday I had a very awkward thing happen to me. And I don't know if you've ever had this, where if you have an iPhone and you're texting people, have you ever been in the midst of a text conversation only to realize that somebody must have text you while you're texting another person and it automatically changes over to the other person who's texting you and you start texting them and you realize crap I'm texting the wrong person yes well at least they came up with an a solution for this they came up with the ability to be able to delete text except for what happened to me yesterday so yesterday I was texting with Lydia and while I was texting with Lydia I was texting with Mojo in the Morning Misfit Victor and my text with Lydia was pleasant my text with Victor was not so pleasant it got to a point where we were throwing jabs at each other and I sent a text to him that was I'm not proud of I am not proud of that it went to the wrong person I sent a text that was meant for him and i wanted to stop it and i said happy and i used the c word c but said it with

02:18:49 - 02:18:59 | Speaker 2:

c mess you big you big c got it the c you the c you next word yes see you yes and when i sent it

02:18:59 - 02:19:52 | Speaker 1:

i looked down at my phone and it says lydia you know what and i quickly go oh my god holy crap i send it to the wrong person so i click on it and delete it and then i go i feel like i need to explain the delete because i know on mine when people delete it it will say you are that uh you know mojo unsent lydia a message she may be able to see it in the software somewhere yeah well i've hoped that she didn't and i said to her i go victor and i were fighting on text that was the delete for him or that was that was meant for him that I deleted and she started laughing she goes I figured it out was not for me and I said oh crap you saw it and she starts laughing and she goes yes happy Seamus see you next Tuesday oh my god Lydia did you first off think that was

02:19:52 - 02:19:57 | Speaker 2:

for you no I knew it wasn't for me oh you don't talk to me like that that was so embarrassing

02:19:57 - 02:20:00 | Speaker 1:

have you had this happen to you guys ever

02:20:00 - 02:20:07 | Speaker 2:

Like, have you ever had it happen to you where you were talking about somebody and that text went to the person you were talking about?

02:20:07 - 02:20:17 | Speaker 5:

I haven't had that, but I still have. I don't know if I need to update or what, but I can see what you sent and that you unsent what you sent.

02:20:17 - 02:20:18 | Speaker 2:

Because you know why?

02:20:18 - 02:20:19 | Speaker 5:

I can see it.

02:20:19 - 02:20:26 | Speaker 2:

Because you haven't updated your. Go look at your phone. What's the last? What's the iOS or whatever that you're running on your phone?

02:20:26 - 02:20:27 | Speaker 5:

Oh, Lord.

02:20:27 - 02:20:31 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. They're on, like, iOS 18 or 19 or something like that now.

02:20:31 - 02:20:41 | Speaker 4:

But, you know, my phone updated last night, and I hate it. It's also, if you're on your iPad or your computer, it will always show. Are you kidding me?

02:20:41 - 02:20:46 | Speaker 5:

No, it's not my phone that does it. That's what I was going to say. It's my MacBook or my iPad. Why do they do this?

02:20:46 - 02:20:50 | Speaker 2:

Why come up with a delete if you can't truly delete?

02:20:50 - 02:20:51 | Speaker 5:

Great question.

02:20:52 - 02:20:53 | Speaker 2:

Somebody needs to explain this to me.

02:20:54 - 02:21:18 | Speaker 5:

And for a while, it was doing it with the edited text. and Wes I love him more than anything but he like has to have the text perfect so he would send me a text and then edit it and so I would get two texts I would get the original one and the edited one and I kept having to tell him please don't edit the damn text I know what you're talking about because now then I get two if you can understand it I'm not editing it yeah here's

02:21:18 - 02:21:21 | Speaker 3:

the thing Mojo why don't you stop being naughty then you don't have to worry about if you send a

02:21:21 - 02:21:25 | Speaker 2:

text or not. Tell me that you wouldn't say the same thing to Victor, too. He's a pain in the ass.

02:21:26 - 02:21:29 | Speaker 3:

Maybe. I would. Do you know where this gets me?

02:21:30 - 02:21:42 | Speaker 5:

Do you know where this gets me? It's not with this switch that can happen. It's with, do you guys ever like, I have a bunch of different text chains check. It's spreading.

02:21:43 - 02:21:45 | Speaker 2:

Delete that text and do it again.

02:21:45 - 02:22:14 | Speaker 5:

I have a bunch of different text chains with various groups of similar people but maybe for like birthday planning or who's going out to dinner who's gonna like one person is not on or different different people but and so if you go down like and i text let's say my friend lindsey i type in lindsey i'll be like oh yeah so this is the text i need but sometimes i don't know how this happens it's a different one that pops up and then i text it's so bad this is

02:22:14 - 02:22:35 | Speaker 2:

the wrong group and the problem is you have to be careful because you may be sending to lindsey what you are talking about with somebody else that might be on that text exchange. And I hate the fact that there are some people, first off, I hate the fact that there are some people whose phone numbers only appear because they're not in my contacts. And I hate when people put me on group text with people that are not in my contacts.

02:22:36 - 02:22:40 | Speaker 4:

I'm never going to respond. I don't know who's in there. I don't know who's taking screen grabs.

02:22:41 - 02:23:27 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Text is 95500. have you ever done the wrong text and sent it to the wrong person have you ever had you know that happened to you you got to call us up and you got to tell us who is it you know that got it because i'm sure that this has got to happen a lot we have family texts in ours like we have family texts that are amongst all the kids and chelsea and i and then there are some i'm not in they don't put it chelsea doesn't put me in i'm sure they're talking nasty stuff about me they're probably calling me the names i was calling victor but that could you imagine if your kids called you that i've never called my dad that never have you ever accidentally text your brother something that uh

02:23:27 - 02:23:44 | Speaker 4:

went to your dad oh yeah but i'm like not ashamed to be mean to them you know what i mean like i'm not ashamed to say i was talking behind your back i'm not ashamed to say bruh you need to get your your spit together you're being a an a-hole and i'm trying to fix this and then you act like

02:23:44 - 02:23:50 | Speaker 2:

you... Oh, that was an accident. Yeah, right. What's going on? Hi. How are you? It's Mojo in the

02:23:50 - 02:23:53 | Speaker 1:

morning. Hi, Mojo. What's going on? What's happening?

02:23:54 - 02:23:55 | Speaker 2:

Did you ever do this?

02:23:56 - 02:24:02 | Speaker 1:

Let me tell you. I had an incident with a co-worker, and she pissed me off. And we got to dump that.

02:24:03 - 02:24:09 | Speaker 2:

Wait, the first one! You're the first dump in the morning! You're my first dump there.

02:24:09 - 02:24:11 | Speaker 5:

We got like four days. That was wonderful.

02:24:12 - 02:24:18 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. okay you cannot you cannot say that word on the radio go ahead uh so you're just talking spit

02:24:18 - 02:24:24 | Speaker 1:

about the came the co-worker and sent it to my sister but it did not go to my sister i actually

02:24:24 - 02:24:37 | Speaker 2:

sent it to the co-worker oh my god like how bad were you talking like like don't say the words but was it like bad enough that you were embarrassed well yeah i was a little bit

02:24:37 - 02:24:48 | Speaker 1:

embarrassed because she turned right around to me and she was like oh that's how you feel And so at that point, I felt like I had to stand strong on it. Like I had to be about my business. So I was like, yep, that's exactly how I feel.

02:24:48 - 02:24:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. Yeah. Like you can't back down now. You've already, it's already out there. You've already done it.

02:24:53 - 02:24:54 | Speaker 1:

Right.

02:24:54 - 02:24:55 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

02:24:55 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 1:

So that happened. But we love you. We ended up talking.

02:25:00 - 02:25:05 | Speaker 2:

out and it's okay now but yeah i said a lot of stuff about her by the way first time

02:25:05 - 02:25:29 | Speaker 1:

wait what is your name my name is d d is on the phone there you go all right shannon you get this one kevin's out today kevin's out we're by the way did we all say what we had to say about kevin in the non-Kevin group text?

02:25:29 - 02:25:31 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no, but I'll say it right now.

02:25:31 - 02:25:32 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Anna? How you doing?

02:25:34 - 02:25:35 | Speaker 4:

I'm good. How are you guys?

02:25:35 - 02:25:36 | Speaker 1:

Good. What's going on?

02:25:37 - 02:26:01 | Speaker 4:

So a couple of years ago, I was texting my now husband something semi-inappropriate that's still work-appropriate, and my boss chimes in, and I replied back to my boss instead of my boyfriend. Oh, boy. Oh, my God. I was mortified. And then I have a meeting with him, and I couldn't look him in the eyes.

02:26:02 - 02:26:08 | Speaker 1:

Could you give us a little bit? What did you say about your now husband that your boss ended up seeing?

02:26:10 - 02:26:15 | Speaker 4:

I think it was just like, oh, I can't wait to wear that red nightie. Oh, my God. I would die.

02:26:17 - 02:26:19 | Speaker 3:

Could you imagine if I accidentally sent that to Tony Travato?

02:26:21 - 02:26:26 | Speaker 1:

Don't accidentally. Just do it. Just out of the blue. I just want to see him pop out of his office

02:26:26 - 02:26:29 | Speaker 3:

He would die I would die

02:26:29 - 02:26:36 | Speaker 1:

What's up Justin how you doing Hey good morning how are you guys We're doing good man we're having a crazy show today What's happening

02:26:36 - 02:26:40 | Speaker 2:

Well first time long time

02:26:40 - 02:26:42 | Speaker 1:

KP does this one

02:26:42 - 02:26:43 | Speaker 4:

What's your name

02:26:43 - 02:26:44 | Speaker 1:

Justin

02:26:44 - 02:26:46 | Speaker 4:

Justin's on the phone

02:26:46 - 02:27:56 | Speaker 2:

Yeah so Have you ever you know like well, this isn't a text, but it's an email. So you're thinking about the person that you want to talk about, which in my case was a client. I'm an interior designer. And I was thinking about this client to talk something bad about her to my assistant to start some documents. So I sent her an email and I said, hey, to my assistant's name. And I said, you can start these documents. oh by the way ignore the design it's awful the client has terrible taste and then so I go to my assistant like an hour later I'm like did you get my email you're gonna start the paperwork for that and she's like what email and so I'm like what so I go back to my scent box and I see the client's name and I'm like oh my god so then I tried to retract you can retract an email outlook but if they don't have outlook it won't it won't retract so fortunately she never said a word to me she i know she saw it though she's been really quiet i'm like well

02:27:56 - 02:28:03 | Speaker 1:

sorry you know what someone needed to tell her yeah did you still have the the work she didn't

02:28:03 - 02:28:10 | Speaker 2:

cancel her her work with you did she no she well she already paid so i'm like too too bad you know

02:28:10 - 02:28:18 | Speaker 1:

what's funny about that though is that she probably upped what she was going to spend because you made her realize that she's got no taste at all she's got to follow everything that you say

02:28:18 - 02:28:30 | Speaker 2:

oh no no people aren't that smart she she basically has stopped asking me to come to selection meetings she's like oh i think we've got this i'm like i'm sure you do yeah right

02:28:30 - 02:28:35 | Speaker 1:

because of the email thanks for the call man we appreciate it what's up jennifer hi

02:28:35 - 02:29:39 | Speaker 3:

hey good morning good morning what's going on oh well i texted somebody a wrong number and uh we've been dating for five years now wait you so you texted somebody you didn't even know well i was trying to text somebody i knew but i had messed up their number by one digit man that's wild and what were you texting Well, okay, so the other guy, his name was Jeff, and him and I got into a little bit of a tiff, so I deleted his number because I was done. But I had one more thing to say, because, you know, why don't you? So I texted a question mark thinking, I think I have the right number, but I'm not sure. And so this other person texted back, exclamation point. I'm thinking, oh, it must be the person I think it is. So we just keep chit-chatting. He's, of course, suspicious, like he's getting messed with. and eventually it comes out that it's definitely not the same person but his name is also Jeff so that's a movie

02:29:39 - 02:29:43 | Speaker 1:

right there that's like some kind of a Hollywood thing happening that's awesome

02:29:43 - 02:29:45 | Speaker 4:

absolutely it really happened

02:29:45 - 02:29:50 | Speaker 1:

how soon until the text turned into nudes oh no no

02:29:50 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 3:

not that night anyways we love you Jen take care of yourself All right, we appreciate you.

02:30:00 - 02:30:11 | Speaker 2:

God, I'm still embarrassed when I look at this to Lydia. Poor Lydia. I mean, geez. If I would have sent it to Kevin, I would have laughed or something. You know what I mean? But what are you guys?

02:30:12 - 02:30:23 | Speaker 1:

And Lydia, of all people, too. I wouldn't have thought anything of it. You wouldn't? Come on. It's about time, right, KP? It's about time. Oh, I'm ready for you.

02:30:24 - 02:30:28 | Speaker 2:

I've been waiting for this. Nicole, last call. What's up?

02:30:30 - 02:30:44 | Speaker 1:

All right, so I actually received the wrong text that was sent for my ex's group chat. He was actually messaging them about being out with a girl the night before and sent it to me.

02:30:45 - 02:30:49 | Speaker 2:

How long did you let him go on and talk until you told him it was you?

02:30:50 - 02:30:51 | Speaker 1:

Oh, he sent the one text.

02:30:51 - 02:30:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's it?

02:30:52 - 02:31:49 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it said something along the lines, like, I had to keep reading it because I'm like, what? I know he did not just send this to me. i was confused and said never date a popular chick um it's messing up my blank life like his his wiener it's messing up his yes and then he said um i had a little wiggle where i was out of town the night before and her her cousin walked in and ruined my whole life i had the blank on a platter and now she won't talk to me anymore you still have it in front of you right now no i just remember it because it was like it hurt like it stabbed myself like i was like i cannot believe it we lived together and everything like it was insane so how did you go about then confronting him did you like oh i said excuse me and he said like he didn't say anything he immediately came back and i said you know like we're done and that was it period like that's it

02:31:49 - 02:31:54 | Speaker 2:

yeah that's it oh nicole hopefully you're with somebody else that's treating you better oh yeah

02:31:54 - 02:32:03 | Speaker 1:

That was, like, years ago, but I will never forget that because I'm like, how? Like, that was the universe. Thank you, universe, for getting me out of that situation because, holy crap, I had no idea ever.

02:32:03 - 02:32:05 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Thank you, universe.

02:32:05 - 02:32:05 | Speaker 1:

A lot for work.

02:32:05 - 02:32:35 | Speaker 2:

Thank you, Apple. Hello. Who's touching my controls? Somebody touched my controls. This is craziness. I literally just had my control set on satellite and everybody. Can another studio grab my controls?

02:32:35 - 02:32:36 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. Mine changed too.

02:32:37 - 02:33:33 | Speaker 2:

So whoever touched my controls. Wasn't me. Cut the crap or we are going to have ourselves a fight during the potluck today. Yeah. A food fight at iHeart. Oh, my God. Somebody, so for those who don't know how this works, we're now all in these studios. And I think to you that this is like, and it's weird. The old building and the old studios used to have, everybody had their own studios. And this one here, people share like 8,000 different studios. It was somebody's smart idea to like have less studios, which is fine. But there's 8,000 traffic studios for a traffic department that doesn't even come in here. Like, why didn't they make any of those studios for any of the radio stations, people here? Well, I'm about to use one of those today, so. Use it. Use it and abuse it. You want to know why? Because somebody just set my log on satellite mode, and I could not even talk there just for one second.

02:33:34 - 02:33:36 | Speaker 1:

Keep going. Please keep going.

02:33:37 - 02:33:38 | Speaker 2:

Can I do a mojo minute?

02:33:38 - 02:33:41 | Speaker 1:

Please. Is this okay? I would love if you did right now.

02:33:41 - 02:34:14 | Speaker 2:

Can we have this? Do we know if corporate's listening? Is corporate listening right now? We got a little. Hold on. Stop it. I don't need a minute. I'm done. I just finished. It was five seconds. 02:34:17 - 02:34:29 | Speaker 2:

You know what's funny? We started off the show this morning talking about how Shannon had bathroom rage at the mall this weekend when we were doing the broadcast. Like she almost ripped the dispenser right off the wall.

02:34:29 - 02:34:30 | Speaker 1:

The paper towel.

02:34:30 - 02:34:31 | Speaker 2:

The paper towel dispenser.

02:34:32 - 02:34:32 | Speaker 1:

It made it work.

02:34:33 - 02:34:46 | Speaker 2:

I am going to have you, because you're stronger than I am. I guarantee you. You're a mom. You gave birth to two kids. I've gave birth to none. I want to have you rip this, whoever controls, out of this studio and throw it like you were going to do that.

02:34:46 - 02:34:47 | Speaker 1:

Sometimes you're feeling poor.

02:34:47 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 2:

By the way, we got a call from the Franklin Park Mall saying they would like to know, is that Shannon's fist mark on the paper towel dispenser? What do we got in this hour's dirty on the 30? What do we got?

02:35:00 - 02:35:21 | Speaker 3:

It is a big day if you've been following the case of the Menendez brothers almost three decades after they were sentenced to life in prison for murdering their parents. Lyle and Eric Menendez are set to appear in court today around 1030 a.m. California time in the latest step in their bid for release after the L.A. District Attorney recommended that they be resentenced.

02:35:21 - 02:35:33 | Speaker 2:

Today, a potentially pivotal court hearing in Los Angeles for Eric and Lyle Menendez as they fight for their freedom. They could speak publicly for the first time in years.

02:35:34 - 02:35:42 | Speaker 6:

The Menendez brothers will appear virtually in this hearing. They could be asked questions or answer any type of information that the judge asks of them.

02:35:43 - 02:36:02 | Speaker 2:

The brothers, serving life sentences without parole for the shotgun murders of their parents in 1989, have claimed it was in self-defense after years of abuse. And now, their lawyers claim there's new evidence backing up those abuse claims. They're demanding a new trial or a resentencing.

02:36:02 - 02:36:08 | Speaker 7:

Technically, it's a status conference, but the judge could do anything.

02:36:08 - 02:36:17 | Speaker 2:

The outgoing district attorney had recommended re-evaluating the brothers' sentences. The newly elected DA is now reviewing the request.

02:36:17 - 02:36:26 | Speaker 4:

If you decide this case based on just reviewing a Netflix documentary, you're doing a disservice to the Menendez brothers, to the victim family members, to the public.

02:36:26 - 02:36:45 | Speaker 2:

The high-level interest in the Menendez case has been driven by a Netflix series and a documentary describing the abuse allegations against their parents. Interest is so intense, a lottery is being held to determine which 16 spectators will be given a seat in court to witness today's hearing.

02:36:45 - 02:36:57 | Speaker 7:

The DA has already initiated the resentencing well before the election. Once the DA initiates the resentencing, it's now in the hands of the judge. Would you guys ever want to sit in on a celebrity trial? Oh, my God.

02:36:58 - 02:36:58 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

02:36:59 - 02:36:59 | Speaker 5:

You would?

02:37:00 - 02:37:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I mean, you know this. I'm so obsessed with the Dateline. I would want to sit in on any of those big crime cases. Same, for sure. It'd be fascinating. Same.

02:37:09 - 02:37:23 | Speaker 5:

I remember way back, you know, I remember back to the OJ thing. And I remember that there were people that were waiting day after day because they wanted to get in there. Because a lot of the people that got into the courtroom became famous, too. Yeah. Because they became, you know, stars.

02:37:23 - 02:38:02 | Speaker 3:

Most of the time, the way that this works is it's first come, first serve. So producers of shows like Dateline, speaking of, will camp out overnight. But this is just so crazy that that's why they're doing this lottery for this one. My new favorite movie of all time, Wicked, brought in $114 million in its opening weekend, followed by Gladiator 2, which had a $55 million take, Red 3 dropping to third. But Wicked's Ethan Slater, who plays Bach in the film, also known as Ariana Grande's boyfriend, not in the movie, in real life, but weighing in on the very controversial topic of whether fans are allowed to sing when you go to see the Wicked movie.

02:38:02 - 02:38:20 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I heard about this. People don't like the idea that people are going to movies and singing, even though it is a musical. And I talked to Paul Glanz And imagine you're okay to sing At the AMC You're not okay to sing

02:38:20 - 02:38:41 | Speaker 3:

But don't sing You don't I walked in and this older man said to me He was like chit chatting with me while we were getting our popcorn And he's like I'm going to sing every single song And I said well I hope I'm not sitting next to you Because I would be Really upset if I came to see the movie And you sat there and sang every song I'll be damned he sang every song from the back of the movie

02:38:41 - 02:38:56 | Speaker 1:

conversation i feel like i'm of two minds because it is really fun to be in a theater full of people singing at the same time i also think that they're doing some sing-along showings right in december and maybe that's gonna maybe that's the best venue for it do it during the sing-alongs

02:38:56 - 02:39:11 | Speaker 8:

you don't pay to go to a musical at a theater and sing along in the audience it's the same for the movie i want to hear cynthia arrivo and i want to hear ariana grande i don't want to hear you unless we all go to the movie under the assumption that we're all singing along or that's the

02:39:11 - 02:39:54 | Speaker 5:

expectation see i gotta tell you i actually am fine with it it's entertaining to me i used to love going to see the medea movies at the star south hill there was nothing better than people talking at the screen i would like go i said to chelsea one time i go is this not the greatest entertainment ever like people are yelling at uh you know the screen there was one movie i remember it was a chris brown movie with uh uh where he was like the cheater i think or something like that and janet jackson was in there and the girls were like i'll kick his ass and i'm like oh my god this is the greatest friday night that i've had in the longest time i want people singing i want you talking to the screen give me some it's called dinner in a show absolutely not you guys are

02:39:54 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 8:

you're theater snobs it's not theater snobs i'm not paying that much money to listen to you

02:40:00 - 02:40:06 | Speaker 1:

let's go to the movie together you don't know the words I'll be like da da da da da da da

02:40:06 - 02:40:47 | Speaker 3:

Harry Styles is sparking speculation that he has undergone a hairline transplant yes absolutely yes photos of Harry when he auditioned for the X Factor at 16 years old so that he obviously had a full very lush head of hair but as he aged fans noticed like a widow's peak in his hairline now it 30 years old he's been pictured at fashion events lately and his hairline looks very restored to me a cosmetic doctor with a clinic in london said he's grown out his hair but it definitely looks different to how it used to be in previous photos he had quite a significant frontotemporal recession

02:40:47 - 02:41:03 | Speaker 2:

but now it's not that bad i heard a doctor on tiktok a cosmetic surgeon say uh the male bbl is a hairline transplant and a jaw implant oh god yeah that's the male bbl canadian prime minister

02:41:03 - 02:41:35 | Speaker 3:

justin trudeau is trending this morning he is facing some backlash for hanging out at the taylor swift concert in toronto while these very violent anti-israel protests were erupting all over montreal protestors excuse me set cars on fire they were smashing retail shop windows burning an effigy of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. I mean, police had to use, you know, riot gear, tear gas to calm down people while Trudeau was there singing, you know, anti-hero.

02:41:36 - 02:41:38 | Speaker 1:

By the way, he's a horrible dancer, too. Did you see him dance?

02:41:38 - 02:41:38 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:41:39 - 02:41:40 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

02:41:40 - 02:41:57 | Speaker 3:

But social media was just, I mean, they were outraged by this, calling his actions irresponsible during such unrest. And lastly, did you guys, I don't, I'm not into like car racing, but the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Yeah. Just happened on Las Vegas.

02:41:57 - 02:41:59 | Speaker 1:

Tons of celebrities were in Vegas this weekend.

02:41:59 - 02:42:34 | Speaker 3:

Oh my goodness gracious. Well, Boyz II Men promised a quote unquote pretty sexy version of the U.S. National Anthem. You guys, it is. Do you have it? I have it. Play it. I want to hear it. Here's part of it. It was really flat, just musically speaking, but...

02:42:34 - 02:42:36 | Speaker 1:

Is that sexy, though? I don't know if that's sexy.

02:42:36 - 02:42:45 | Speaker 3:

It's bad, but also people were like, why are we trying... Oh, you think it's bad? Yes. Well, it is bad, but people were like, why are we trying to make the national anthem sound sexy?

02:42:46 - 02:42:54 | Speaker 1:

Huh. I thought that sounds like they're just getting a lot of their normal kind of, I don't know.

02:42:54 - 02:42:57 | Speaker 2:

Listen, it's not Fergie bad, but it's not good. It's not good.

02:43:01 - 02:43:06 | Speaker 3:

All right, for all of today's ready, catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

02:43:11 - 02:43:47 | Speaker 1:

Get more Jert at MojoInTheMorning.com. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. The debate over the singing during Wicked is great. I don't want to hear others sing. Can't stand when people talk during movies. Mojo, I'm surprised you were even awake during a movie where you heard people talking. Mojo, you would have been sleeping when all those people are singing. Didn't you say that you've seen Wicked on Broadway a few times and fell asleep? I've seen Wicked here in town so many times. My wife, for some reason, wants to go see it all the time when it's here. Because it's good. I never stay awake the entire time.

02:43:48 - 02:43:52 | Speaker 3:

Do you know what happens? Have you ever stayed awake full time to know a story?

02:43:52 - 02:43:58 | Speaker 1:

I know that they sing popular on the second.

02:43:58 - 02:43:58 | Speaker 2:

Nope.

02:43:59 - 02:44:00 | Speaker 1:

Isn't it the second?

02:44:00 - 02:44:01 | Speaker 2:

No, it's the first half.

02:44:01 - 02:44:02 | Speaker 1:

It is first half?

02:44:02 - 02:44:03 | Speaker 2:

Pretty early in the musical.

02:44:03 - 02:44:07 | Speaker 1:

Okay, then maybe I fell asleep during the first part. What's going on? How are you doing, Melissa?

02:44:09 - 02:44:11 | Speaker 2:

I am doing great. How are you, Mojo? I'm good.

02:44:12 - 02:44:14 | Speaker 1:

Hey, you're a winner. Congratulations to you.

02:45:00 - 02:45:04 | Speaker 5:

Megan, what is the must-do holiday tradition?

02:45:04 - 02:45:10 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Do you guys have that thing where it doesn't feel like the holidays? Holidays. Oh, Shannon.

02:45:10 - 02:45:14 | Speaker 5:

That sounds like a commercial. Holidays. It's holidays at Macy's.

02:45:14 - 02:45:18 | Speaker 2:

I don't know what is happening to us today, but I think we're all melting down.

02:45:19 - 02:45:27 | Speaker 5:

We had a busy weekend. We were out at the mall getting toys for toys for everybody in Toledo, and then we had the Red Wings game.

02:45:27 - 02:45:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, the night before that, I was there for the Christmas tree lighting at the lights before Christmas at the Toledo Zoo, which is something that I have to do every single year. I have to go to the lights before Christmas or it doesn't feel like the holidays.

02:45:43 - 02:45:45 | Speaker 5:

Because they make you or have to because you like to?

02:45:45 - 02:46:13 | Speaker 2:

I have to because it's like tradition. I love to do it. I've done it. I think every year I've been alive, I have gone to the lights before Christmas. And it doesn't feel like the holidays. That's a lie. There was one year I didn't do it, and I genuinely got so upset that I didn't get to experience it. But I now live here in downtown Detroit, and I'm not as used to Michigan traditions or, like, must-dos. And I was hoping you guys could help me out with, like, making a to-do list.

02:46:13 - 02:46:18 | Speaker 3:

You have to do holiday nights at Greenfield Village. It is my absolute favorite thing to do.

02:46:18 - 02:46:23 | Speaker 2:

Okay. I haven't been to Greenfield Village since I've sold out. Oh, wow. Well, thanks. I can help you.

02:46:23 - 02:46:36 | Speaker 5:

I've got one. It's a parade. You're literally right there for the Thanksgiving parade, and you can go and watch it and then go back home. Actually, you've got the perfect seats for it. You live right there.

02:46:36 - 02:46:54 | Speaker 2:

So if people don't know, my dad was born and raised in Detroit, and last year was the first year I lived in Detroit for Thanksgiving, and I got to take him to the parade that he used to do as a kid, and that was like a really cool moment for me. So that's not on the to-do list, unfortunately, this year because my dad has plans.

02:46:55 - 02:46:59 | Speaker 4:

But I'll be there. The whole fam, come. Seriously, come sit.

02:46:59 - 02:47:09 | Speaker 5:

Wait, are these only holiday traditions like this time of the year? Because there's other traditions, too. Like you got to go light off a whole bunch of fireworks during Fourth of July with a Chaldean family in West Bloomfield.

02:47:09 - 02:47:11 | Speaker 2:

Is that a must-do?

02:47:11 - 02:47:42 | Speaker 5:

That's like it's a must-do. I do that all the time. Or, I don't know, one of the other favorite traditions is to go to tip-up town or to do any of the east side boating adventures. I saw Dino Cicerelli this weekend, and Dino Cicerelli's like, how come I don't see you out there in the water anymore? And I'm like, you know why you don't see me ever in the water? I would never go. Back in the day, Spike would go all the time. I would never go. I'd never go because I went one year, and all I smelled was urine.

02:47:42 - 02:47:47 | Speaker 2:

Oh, gross. I've never been to Frankenmuth, so I feel like that's... You've never been? I've never been.

02:47:47 - 02:47:48 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. Never once.

02:47:48 - 02:47:50 | Speaker 3:

Why do you say it like you're so excited?

02:47:51 - 02:49:25 | Speaker 5:

Because I've done something Megan hasn't done. Okay. And honestly, I'm regretful of it. To me... So don't go. All it is... So I've lived in Detroit for more of my life than I have not lived in Detroit, okay? And the first year I ever lived here, everybody told me I needed to go and get chicken in frankenmuth and go to frank go to uh what the hell is the uh the christmas oh i'm sorry brunners so i said to chelsea when we get when the kids come home from you know school we're gonna get in the car we're gonna drive you know up 75 and we're gonna go and she's like oh that would be a fun tradition so we made the kids get all dressed up because we thought you had to dress up believe me you don't wear the wear your overalls or something i don't know they hang out in frankenmuth so you go there we go to Bronner's first I'm like this is like the Dixieland flea market you know what I mean of Christmas and then we go get chicken and I thought the chicken was just it was mediocre I was not a fan that was the funniest when you came in that do you remember Monday morning and he's like just did not understand I was like the chicken this is something that like it's because I grew up here I'm gonna like love you have to grow up here I'm like this is like nuts but you should do it at least once yeah just so you can say you did it okay all right hold on stephanie you got something that megan should do that would be a tradition now that she's calling herself a detrator uh yeah out in uh i think it's commerce

02:49:25 - 02:49:38 | Speaker 1:

where glenmore's trails is they have an adult night and it's a walk a mile a mile walk through the woods with all the christmas lights sounds creepy is it nice really yes i haven't gone to

02:49:38 - 02:49:43 | Speaker 4:

the holiday one but i've done the halloween one really it's really really fun halloween is amazing

02:49:43 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 5:

christmas is just as good okay all right although walking to me is not a good idea can i get in a horse carriage and like do they have that where i can what's up uh jennifer hi hey guys how are you. Good morning. Good morning. Happy holidays. Happy Thanksgiving.

02:50:00 - 02:50:33 | Speaker 6:

and happy christmas yeah yeah so megan you have to go see the lights on heinz drive okay what is that that's fun too to do one time it is light fest yeah it's like what a few miles of just like lights that you drive through yes and we what we do is like we go get hot cocoa or like a coffee we turn the christmas music on in the car and you just cruise and see all the pretty lights It's tradition. Go to the bathroom before you go. Yeah.

02:50:33 - 02:50:35 | Speaker 3:

Because there's no way out of that line.

02:50:35 - 02:50:38 | Speaker 6:

It's not super big, but. Is it just like a neighborhood? It's like a tradition for us.

02:50:38 - 02:50:53 | Speaker 3:

No, it's like they take like a chunk of Heinz, like this road, and then they block it off for this. And it's all, it's like this, have you been to Magic of Lights at Pynob? It's very similar to that. Okay. That's in a parking lot. This is just like on a road.

02:50:53 - 02:50:53 | Unknown:

Okay.

02:50:54 - 02:50:55 | Speaker 3:

It's cool.

02:50:55 - 02:51:42 | Speaker 2:

what what about uh in other stuff uh have you ever been to and i know it's not the holidays but have you ever gone to the woodward dream cruise at all uh no no because the only reason i asked the ask that question was that was another thing that i went to for the very first time as a non you know i grew up in town here and i went to it i'm like why is a fedex truck driving up woodward like i was like wondering why it is i always thought it was just supposed to be all classic cars but there's like people like just driving regular cars i'm like that's not special yeah like why don't they just shut the whole thing down and just let your classic cars go up and down they do certain things here detroit's a great place don't get me wrong yeah we're the hardest working people in the world yeah but sometimes we half-ass things a little bit you know did you guys

02:51:42 - 02:51:59 | Speaker 3:

see the christmas tree lighting that happened that was unbelievable on friday night at campus marshes there were like 120 000 people or something yeah it was on that's a tradition i wish we were more a part of as a show yeah that is i want to be part of that what's up samantha hi hey mojo

02:51:59 - 02:52:04 | Speaker 2:

how are you good i heard that i offended you is that true no you didn't offend me i just want to

02:52:04 - 02:52:33 | Speaker 5:

tell you you need to try the seasoning on the chicken if you do a light seasoning on that chicken from vendors it makes it all better really yes the seasoning they have on the table just do very well it makes it so much better yeah i definitely didn't season it um yeah that makes the better. And Megan, you definitely need to go to Frankenmuth and stay the night. So that way you can see the lights at night. It's a very beautiful place. Frankenmuth is something I do with my daughter. We're actually going tonight. Her and her friend, we're going for Thanksgiving. We've never gone.

02:52:33 - 02:52:39 | Speaker 1:

Hold on, Nichelle. Nichelle, I just picked you up. Nichelle's like, uh, uh, uh. What were you saying, Nichelle?

02:52:39 - 02:53:13 | Speaker 4:

Honey, honey, honey, honey. That chicken is not fried by black folks. Okay. Okay, Megan, do me a favor. Go over to the other side and go shopping. Okay, skip the chicken. Okay? All right, where's the good chicken then? My house. Hey, we're on our way. I don't want a lot for Christmas. There is just one thing I need.

02:53:13 - 02:53:14 | Speaker 2:

I think we may get some snow flurries this week.

02:53:15 - 02:53:17 | Speaker 3:

On Thanksgiving morning.

02:53:17 - 02:54:13 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that would be great. I just hope it's not rainy. I hate rainy. That just seems to defeat any purpose of the holidays. It makes you feel miserable. Give us a little bit of flurries. Give us a little snow, snow, snow. Give us something that doesn't hurt our travel opportunities. I know so many people are going to be traveling. They say it was like 40 million people will travel at least 50 miles away from their homes for Thanksgiving. Whether you're going by car, by plane, train, whatever it might be. Got a turkey shoot tomorrow. Maybe a last chance to get into that. Coming up here in just a little bit for an opportunity for you to go to the game on Thanksgiving Day. How about them Lions, huh?

02:54:13 - 02:54:17 | Speaker 3:

10-1 for the first time since 1934.

02:54:18 - 02:54:59 | Speaker 2:

Isn't that wild? Craziness. It was wild yesterday when they were talking about this because I've seen this stat so many times. We are like the only team that has never been in a Super Bowl. And of one of the, you know, the historic team. To me, that just seems so wild to think that. And everybody's a Lions fan. Like, during games, I get text messages from all over the place. Like, people that I've known for maybe a minute or two that I ran into or, you know, they live in other cities and they know that we're in Detroit. And they're just like, man, we're rooting for the Lions. And you're like, wow, you guys get this game? I actually am so happy that my son Joe came to stay with us because now I have his YouTube TV account.

02:55:00 - 02:55:09 | Speaker 1:

blogging. I didn't know he had it. First off, I did not know that YouTube TV has all the NFL games. I thought that you had to get like a satellite dish for that. So that's what

02:55:09 - 02:55:25 | Speaker 2:

Scott McHas and then I have the Hulu for it. So with the Hulu, you don't get all the games though, do you? But you get Red Zone and you get like the NFL Network or whatever. They're all slightly different. I think YouTube TV is the only one where you can watch all of

02:55:25 - 02:56:02 | Speaker 1:

the games i gotta have by the way i i have to i have to have the ability to be able to watch sometimes other games because i always feel like we get the worst second games if we're the first game or the worst first games if we're the second game like i don't want to i don't care about watching a vikings game or a bears game you don't watch the division i don't care about the division no i want to watch like i want to watch the good games you know what i mean like i want to watch Kansas City taking on Buffalo or something like that. I would rather see that stuff. So now I have it because I got Joe's account logging and I'll sell it to anybody that wants it.

02:56:02 - 02:56:11 | Speaker 2:

Do you know what's embarrassing? I would never do this because I believe it's stealing. My brother FaceTimes me for every Lions game and I have to set up my phone so he can watch it on his phone.

02:56:12 - 02:56:27 | Speaker 1:

You know, you could get thrown into cable jail for that. I'm calling the FCC on you. That is illegal stuff. Wait, so he watches it on, you know what that's like? That's like watching, remember the old bootleg movies where people would watch them recorded?

02:56:27 - 02:56:29 | Speaker 2:

You'd hear people crunching on their popcorn.

02:56:30 - 02:56:36 | Speaker 1:

Your brother is a true-on criminal. And if the lions are listening, I'm not part of this conversation.

02:56:37 - 02:56:37 | Speaker 2:

Whatever.

02:56:37 - 02:56:44 | Speaker 1:

I don't want any of that stuff. Well, can he just watch it? Can't you just watch it on YouTube TV or no?

02:56:44 - 02:56:51 | Speaker 2:

No, because I can't change my location. It goes by my IP address. So I can't go home and like log into my account.

02:56:52 - 02:57:00 | Speaker 1:

What is that thing called that you need to have? A VPN. A VPN? You need to have a VPN. The people that have VPNs are terrorists.

02:57:00 - 02:57:02 | Speaker 2:

They're shady. For sure.

02:57:02 - 02:57:03 | Speaker 1:

And smart computer geeks.

02:57:03 - 02:57:12 | Speaker 2:

I had a VPN, but if you switch your VPN, like if I say I'm in Toledo, then it says, oh, I guess I could say I'm in Detroit. Oh, I see what I did wrong there.

02:57:12 - 02:57:23 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. You need to have So what you need is We need to figure out a way Because that would be annoying What if you have to go to the bathroom And you want to bring your phone with you to watch TV

02:57:23 - 02:57:24 | Speaker 2:

Oh for him?

02:57:25 - 02:57:26 | Speaker 1:

Yeah you just leave your phone out there

02:57:26 - 02:57:28 | Speaker 2:

No mute it turn your camera off

02:57:28 - 02:57:30 | Speaker 1:

No but he wants to watch the game though

02:57:30 - 02:57:41 | Speaker 2:

Right so I would leave mine on And I would either just walk away to the bathroom Where he can't hear me It would be like him sitting in the living room Or if he has to go to the bathroom Mute it and turn your camera off

02:57:41 - 02:57:43 | Speaker 1:

God, that would be so annoying.

02:57:43 - 02:57:46 | Speaker 2:

You're a good sister. You're a very good sister.

02:57:47 - 02:58:08 | Speaker 1:

734 says that YouTube TV allows you three streams, not at your home address, and then unlimited streams at home. Interesting. So does that mean that when Joe goes back home, I can still watch it or no? How can I overtake his thing so he doesn't get it back? He still is on my cell phone account.

02:58:09 - 02:58:32 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's your fault. No, no, no. that's nobody's fault you guys you can't complain about it when you could be the one to not have him on your account true but if you ever kicked him off you're a terrible dad phone plans are not what they used to be dude i'm still on my dad's phone plan and i listen i pay for his streaming i do that whatever we make deals we trade i cannot get a phone plan as good as my dad's phone plan

02:58:33 - 03:00:00 | Speaker 1:

Hold on. Why is he not ringing to my phone? Joe. Why are you not ringing to my phone here? Hold on. Are you there? Yeah, I'm here. I'm trying to call. Tony the Tiger set me up to be able to do this through the controls here. Wait, you're here right now? Yeah, we just parked. Oh, I was just, were you, were you guys listening on your way down or talking? We were listening to you. I was texting you. Okay. So you heard me talk about the excitement level of having your YouTube account number now. Hell yeah, Pam. You're living a high life now. You're welcome. Wait, do I have to, do I have to not be able to watch now when you're back in Tampa? No. Well, you could still use it. It won't knock you off and log you off? it could i don't know we'll see you you have it all right whatever you want with it because here's the deal what i'm going to do is because megan says i'd be a bad dad if i take you off the uh the cell account the xfinity cell account so what i will do well that's the thing i'm thinking is we'll barter this like megan does with her dad and her brother where you pay for youtube i'll pay for Your phone service What do we do during the off season Well during the off season Then you

03:00:00 - 03:00:06 | Speaker 4:

You're on your own because I feel like I'm getting ripped off because the season is only half the

03:00:06 - 03:00:10 | Speaker 1:

year. But YouTube TV costs more than a phone plan. Really? Yes.

03:00:10 - 03:00:14 | Speaker 4:

Hold on. Are there any listeners that can tell me what would be good barter

03:00:14 - 03:00:16 | Speaker 1:

for this? Mine. That's why I don't want to leave it.

03:00:16 - 03:00:17 | Speaker 4:

Are you at the building here?

03:00:19 - 03:00:21 | Speaker 1:

Hi, sir. How are you? Joe.

03:00:22 - 03:00:47 | Speaker 4:

Here, let me talk to him. Let me talk to him real quick. Joe, put him on phone. that is not my son that's a man trying to kill me i don't want you to let him in the building actually that's that's my wife more importantly let her in don't let him in no yeah you can let him in you can let them in could you imagine

03:00:47 - 03:00:48 | Speaker 5:

Nice to meet you.

03:00:49 - 03:00:49 | Speaker 4:

All right.

03:00:49 - 03:00:50 | Speaker 5:

We're walking in. Where do we go?

03:00:51 - 03:01:03 | Speaker 4:

Big red door. So walk in and come to the big red door. You got to see the grand opening of the building. This is the first time that Joe's on in the afternoon here with Ashley and Jed, the Joe show. It's the first time they're in the new building.

03:01:03 - 03:01:04 | Unknown:

Oh, I can't wait to see that.

03:01:04 - 03:01:22 | Speaker 4:

Come on in. See what their thoughts are when they see this. All right, come on in here to the studio. Are there any other Mojo in the Morning listeners that do this with their family members where you guys do the whole, you pay for this, I'll pay for that? And I want to know who feels like they're getting ripped off that way or who feels like this is the right way to go to.

03:01:23 - 03:01:43 | Speaker 1:

I'm pissed at you that you have Hulu now all of a sudden. I'm paying for my Hulu. I told you I would give you my login. I've never. I'm canceling it. It's the same login. But you got to know that it's gone as soon as football season's over. I just want it for Handmaids. That's not coming back to laughter. I would cancel it until then. The Hulu is screwing us with Handmaid's Tale. I am getting so angry about this.

03:01:44 - 03:01:46 | Speaker 4:

Sorry. What's going on, Laura? Hi.

03:01:47 - 03:02:34 | Speaker 3:

hey guys morning good morning what's going on um so i actually about a month and a half ago signed up for uh a streaming it's called new food it's n-u-f-u tv okay it's like 21 bucks a month and i get every football game doesn't matter if it's local not local um i'm from san diego so i watch the charger games all time wait so awesome so catch though yeah i feel like i'm gonna get arrested if i do that yeah we kind of wonder that too but it's been so far and no we've heard about it on facebook or something so it's all over facebook and okay people have had it for a couple years no issue but like i said i've had it for a couple months now and it's amazing it's 21 bucks

03:02:34 - 03:02:44 | Speaker 4:

21 all right well what do you think do you think that i i'm getting a fair treatment i'm paying for Joe's phone service and all he gives me is his YouTube account?

03:02:46 - 03:02:55 | Speaker 3:

Well, you know, I kind of agree with Megan that the cell phone services these days are freaking insane, especially if you are a single person.

03:02:55 - 03:02:59 | Speaker 4:

So maybe Joe, like, has to get me, like, a McDonald's gift card or something.

03:03:00 - 03:03:01 | Speaker 1:

I mean...

03:03:01 - 03:03:02 | Speaker 4:

Or Starbucks card.

03:03:02 - 03:03:08 | Speaker 1:

He gives you his love. I think that's enough. I agree. I agree. A child's love is more valuable. He's in studio.

03:03:09 - 03:03:11 | Speaker 4:

He's in studio. Say hi to Joe. He's right here.

03:03:11 - 03:03:12 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Joe.

03:03:12 - 03:03:14 | Speaker 5:

Thank you for being a great representation.

03:03:15 - 03:03:25 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely. Yesterday we were at the dispensary and ran into a Mojo in the Morning listener that was a fan of both the Mojo in the Morning show and the Joe show.

03:03:25 - 03:03:45 | Speaker 5:

You always say that to make me feel good, but that's not what happened. She did, too. She said, she goes, I love the Joe show. She saw you. She was like, oh, my God, Mojo, I love you. And then my dad immediately was like, oh, look, do you ever listen in the afternoon? And she's like, yeah, I have once. I'm your height man. It's like, this is the Joe show. And she's like, oh, are you on in the afternoon? No, she did not say that.

03:03:45 - 03:03:53 | Speaker 4:

But the funniest part is we're all at the greenhouse in Waldlake. And I'm going, isn't this a place that a family should all hang out together?

03:03:54 - 03:03:57 | Speaker 5:

You immediately walk in and you go, they sell drugs here.

03:03:57 - 03:04:00 | Speaker 1:

And everyone's head shut up. New Thanksgiving tradition.

03:04:01 - 03:04:02 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Kelly.

03:04:03 - 03:04:04 | Speaker 2:

Hi.

03:04:04 - 03:04:05 | Speaker 4:

What's going on, Kelly?

03:04:05 - 03:04:25 | Speaker 2:

so i just had a comment about the bartering with your parents yeah so i my dad pays my 20 phone bill on his family plan and i give him my mom free haircuts and i do my mom's color and i definitely feel like i have the short end of this day oh that's definitely short end of this

03:04:25 - 03:04:42 | Speaker 4:

day you could you could be charging how much money for that uh that's probably about 140 Oh, yeah. That's crazy. I would tell them no more. No more. You'll pay your own $20 a month phone bill. What's up, Christina? Hi.

03:04:43 - 03:04:46 | Speaker 3:

Hi. First time long time. Hey there.

03:04:48 - 03:04:56 | Speaker 4:

Christina's on the phone. Christina, yeah, there you go. Joe, do it. You do, Kev. Say Christina on the phone. What do I say? Christina on the phone. Christina on the phone.

03:04:56 - 03:04:57 | Speaker 1:

There you go.

03:04:58 - 03:04:58 | Speaker 4:

What's going on?

03:04:58 - 03:05:06 | Speaker 1:

Nailed it. Is that what your sound effects sound like, or is the headphones broken? Probably both. What do you do, Christina?

03:05:06 - 03:05:37 | Speaker 2:

So me and my ex both worked for Apple before, and I love when you talk about Apple. But anyways, and she ended up leaving me, and I lost all of my logins. Because she paid for Netflix, she paid for Hulu. Obviously, I paid for the house, because it's my house. But she paid for literally all of the logins, and then when she left, she logged me out of everything. Oh, she should. That is evil.

03:05:38 - 03:05:53 | Speaker 1:

That's horrible. I can't believe that. You know where the dump is? There you go. I think that's the dump button. I think it might have gotten me. Yeah, you can't. By the way, don't make her angry. Don't make a woman angry like that. She's going to come through the phone and beat up us. Listen, I...

03:05:53 - 03:05:55 | Speaker 2:

She's with another girlfriend. She can get over it.

03:05:55 - 03:06:01 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, she's with another girl. Screw her. We hate that. We should all hate on her, right?

03:06:01 - 03:06:04 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. You should. Her name's Jess.

03:06:04 - 03:06:11 | Speaker 1:

Jess, we hate you, Jess. What's up, Sherry? How you doing? Good morning. How are you? We're good.

03:06:11 - 03:06:21 | Speaker 3:

Welcome back to Michigan, Joe. Thank you so much. I just got back in yesterday. Remember I talked to you? Yeah, we talked. We talked last week.

03:06:22 - 03:06:28 | Speaker 1:

Wait, hold on. This is the lady that called you in Tampa. She called us. Yeah. What's up, Sherry? I'm just a big fan of you guys.

03:06:29 - 03:06:42 | Speaker 3:

Nothing. I was just calling to welcome you to Detroit, Joe. It's cold. We've got to go back to Tampa. I know. I left 84-degree weather to come back to this.

03:06:42 - 03:06:44 | Speaker 1:

Me too. Come on. It's always home, though, right?

03:06:46 - 03:06:48 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's got to be home for Thanksgiving.

03:06:48 - 03:06:50 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Did you have fun in Tampa?

03:06:52 - 03:06:54 | Speaker 3:

I was actually in Punta Gorda.

03:06:54 - 03:07:03 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Hey, listen. Listen tomorrow morning again at 8 o'clock. We're sending listeners to Tampa. So if you want another opportunity to go back down.

03:07:05 - 03:07:19 | Speaker 3:

Okay, well, do. And, hey, I was trying to win tickets to Jelly Roll when I was listening down there. To the Joe show? I'm telling you, I went between, yeah, I was listening to the Joe show and listening to Mojo in the morning.

03:07:19 - 03:07:26 | Speaker 1:

See, I didn't have to hype you up, Joe. This is a pure listener right here. This is somebody that, she went on vacation and listened to you on vacation.

03:07:26 - 03:07:36 | Speaker 3:

Look at me go. Yeah, because of Mojo, because of your dad. She's trying to understand, you know, telling me that you had a show down there. So, of course. See that?

03:07:36 - 03:07:46 | Speaker 1:

I'm a proud dad, and his proud mom is also here, too. So, she made him. I did nothing. I just made things dirty. All right. Well, we love you. She says hi.

03:07:46 - 03:07:48 | Speaker 3:

Happy Thanksgiving, you guys. All right.

03:07:48 - 03:07:48 | Speaker 1:

Me? I love that about you. I love Adam Sandler.

03:09:12 - 03:09:13 | Speaker 1:

Are you a paintball guy? Because there's a lot of people that are really big paintball people that want to be part of this whole thing. And I promised Victor that I wouldn't put them in this contest.

03:10:45 - 03:10:47 | Speaker 2:

I was a long time ago, but not anymore.

03:10:48 - 03:11:00 | Speaker 5:

I really do. We haven't officially done anything yet as far as meeting for this contest. We're going to do that after the show today. I still think it would be funny just to see if Shannon knew exactly what part of the gun shoots sick.

03:11:00 - 03:11:01 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I've never shot a painful gun in my life.

03:11:01 - 03:11:03 | Speaker 5:

Have you ever shot a gun gun?

03:11:03 - 03:11:08 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I remember you, the whole cast of our show went on Valentine's Day one year.

03:11:08 - 03:11:11 | Speaker 5:

That's right. Where we were having people shoot their exes.

03:11:12 - 03:11:12 | Speaker 1:

Stuff.

03:11:12 - 03:11:24 | Speaker 5:

Stuff. Yes. For that. Yeah, it was fun. That was cool. All right. Hold on one second. Okay. All right. Oh, don't you say a word. What's up, Adrian? Or Aaron? How you doing, Aaron? Are you there?

03:11:31 - 03:11:36 | Speaker 3:

Listen, I'm going to shoot this turkey so hard that even Kevin is going to have to change his underwear.

03:11:36 - 03:11:44 | Speaker 5:

Oh, jeez. You know what? You're the guy that Victor did not want in this thing. You must be a friend of his or somebody that's not a friend of his.

03:11:45 - 03:11:47 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I was hired by one of his enemies.

03:11:48 - 03:11:54 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I love it. All right, perfect. All right, hang on the phone for just one second, okay? You want to go see the Lions that bad?

03:11:55 - 03:11:55 | Speaker 7:

And I get into a bit of trouble along the way.

03:14:23 - 03:14:28 | Speaker 7:
