It's Friday. Friday. Gotta get down on Friday. Everybody's looking forward to the weekend. Weekend. Friday. Friday. Getting down on Friday. Everybody's looking forward to the weekend.

00:09:57 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 6:

All right, this week, by the way, flew by. It's crazy.

00:10:00 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 1:

Welcome to the Mojo, the Mojo in the Morning Show. This is the Mojo, Mojo in the Morning Show. We were out late last night. We hung out at Red Robin, Mojo in the Morning Show. Thank you to everybody who came out to our... Sounded like a DJ there. Thank you, everybody. Everybody, good morning. Who came out to our big fundraiser for Breaking the End and Christmas Wish. We were out at a Red Robin Red Robin in Southgate First and foremost Is that the biggest Red Robin That you guys have ever seen? Yes

00:10:37 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 2:

It's huge Can I tell you a fun fact About that Red Robin? Yes When I was in high school I used to go on dates With my boyfriend there Stop it I did And so I walked in And it brought me back To ordering the Bonsai burger And a lemonade

00:10:51 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 1:

Wait a second You would eat a Bonsai burger Do you know what that is? For that date? No

00:10:54 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 2:

It's like a chicken With the pineapple And the teriyaki sauce Oh it's a chicken sandwich

00:10:58 - 00:10:59 | Speaker 1:

I think that's what it was

00:10:59 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 3:

But if he let you get the freckled lemonade, he must have liked you because that's expensive.

00:11:04 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so we have always had a great relationship with Cookie. I'm going to call him Cookie from now on. Brian Cook, who, by the way, his whole staff calls him Cookie. They're like, yeah, we're so sad. Poor Brian. He got COVID, so he couldn't be there. The event of events that he wanted us to do so bad, and he couldn't be there. So we did miss you, Brian. But I walk into this location. I actually walked in with Megan. And I don't know if you saw the dumbfounded look on my face. It was twofold.

00:11:36 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 3:

No, that was just the normal look.

00:11:40 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 1:

It's Friday. It's Friday. It's the morning. So I was shocked. I couldn't believe there were people in line to come in there.

00:11:53 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 3:

It was crazy. Like, as soon as we walked in, there was so many people there already.

00:11:58 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 1:

It was crazy. It was, like, nutty. There was a 20-minute wait, and it was before even 5 o'clock. The second thing, then, that surprised me was I saw the cars in the parking lot, so I shouldn't have been so surprised. But I walk into the restaurant, and I see, like, there were the bar areas, and I think that's the restaurant. I have no idea that there's double the restaurant on the other side. Yeah. So I felt bad. So I was, like, trying to work the way through and talk to everybody. But can I say something about this morning first before we talk about last night? Yeah. I went to the Pistons game afterwards, which I'll talk about why the Pistons are going to be a top of mind today with Breaking the End and Christmas Wish coming up later this morning. I picked up clothes that were on my floor because I want to make sure that Chelsea doesn't think I'm a complete slob. And I figure I'm going to put my jeans on from last night only to smell my jeans and to realize they smelled like bottomless french fries. And so I had to find another pair of jeans to her. And so I'm wearing those right now. But it was funny, though, because I forget that. You know, I forget that the days that when I was.

00:13:04 - 00:13:25 | Speaker 3:

When you worked in a restaurant. You smelled like the restaurant. Everybody in that restaurant had a story associating their lives to our show. So much fun hearing how everybody grew up on our show and brought their kids into our world. And so then the one, I won't embarrass them by saying their names. But my favorite was when I sat down with a family and I said, my mother listens to you. She's 92 years old.

00:13:25 - 00:13:26 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

00:13:26 - 00:14:09 | Speaker 3:

Every morning she laughs at your phone scams. She is the biggest fan in the world. She's been listening to you for 20, almost 23 years. I said, oh, my gosh, let's call her. So they dial her up and said, Mom, this is Goldie from Linkin Park. Goldie. She's 92 years old. Guess who I'm sitting with? And Spike from Mojo and Morning. She goes, get the hell out of here. And he says, no, it's Spike. He said, you still listen to him every morning, right? And she goes, nah. I stopped listening to him a few years ago. And the look on their face, they were so embarrassed. I thought it was so hilarious. Oh, I love Goldie. I told Goldie she could listen to him this morning. That is the cutest name.

00:14:09 - 00:14:18 | Speaker 1:

This is for you, Goldie. People were so kind to give money. Is it Kennan, I believe?

00:14:18 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 2:

Kenan, you always call him Kenan when he calls in. He calls every day.

00:14:23 - 00:14:23 | Speaker 1:

He's great.

00:14:23 - 00:14:28 | Speaker 2:

And he kept pulling out $100 bills, crisp ones.

00:14:28 - 00:14:36 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, he's coming out. I invite him to pub crawl with me tonight so I can return the favor because he just kept handing us cash. I said, come out and let me buy you a beer.

00:14:36 - 00:14:57 | Speaker 1:

His story's amazing. I thought it could be a good topic, too, later. His date that he had with him was his fiancee from way back when, And they never ended up walking down the aisle And getting married to each other They ended up splitting up before they got married Before they could get married They married other people Only to reconnect later in life Because fate brought them back together

00:14:57 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 2:

Okay, that's a Hallmark movie

00:15:00 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 4:

I'm for it.

00:15:01 - 00:15:02 | Speaker 2:

I hope Kenan got some last night.

00:15:03 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 4:

We also met Randall, who drove all the way from Bowling Green, and he texts us. He's like our first texter every single morning. Wants to be on radio. We got to meet him, which was really cool. You guys. What? Scott Mick was there. Yes, he was. I almost, okay, first of all, your dad looks hot. You need to stop. He looks hot.

00:15:23 - 00:15:25 | Speaker 2:

I think I said that exact sentence to him when I saw him.

00:15:25 - 00:15:45 | Speaker 4:

He got up from the table, because he was sitting there all by himself. He gets up from the table And not only does he look great But he's like kind of stylish now He wasn't wearing Crocs I noticed Because I looked down He was wearing jeans that showed his ankles a little bit With socks and loafers And I just about I almost called Wes and said we're done We are done

00:15:45 - 00:15:49 | Speaker 2:

I'm moving on Your stepmom by the way right here

00:15:49 - 00:16:00 | Speaker 7:

I'm so angry because you just called her My stepmom And Spike last night said And I'm Megan's future stepdad and I don't like this. I don't like this.

00:16:02 - 00:16:10 | Speaker 2:

So I want to tell the listeners what you guys did for us by coming out there. And there are people that just showed up and just dropped money off and then left.

00:16:10 - 00:16:10 | Speaker 4:

Tons.

00:16:11 - 00:16:42 | Speaker 2:

You guys helped raise 30, ready for this? Because yesterday I gave it an amount, $31,000 for breaking it in Christmas. Brian just texted me and said, it's now up to $31,000. Oh my gosh. Because last night it was up to 30 And the crowd went crazy Everybody there went crazy So it was amazing Red Robin We love you guys so much How sweet are the people That work there Oh the best Best staff That kitchen staff Kicked ass I don't know how They were able to get The food out As fast as they got it out

00:16:42 - 00:16:56 | Speaker 4:

Everybody was so phenomenal Did you try by the way The peppermint Oreo milkshake Oh my god I didn't eat anything Or drink anything I didn't eat anything But somebody ordered me One of those Because they heard me Saying I wanted one Oh my god Go to Red Robin This weekend again

00:16:56 - 00:17:22 | Speaker 2:

No joke, I felt like from, now I know what it's like to work in the service industry. I was exhausted, man, talking. And then later this morning, Reese is going to bust me from my Irish exit, my Irish goodbye. Vicki, are you there? Yes, I am. This is one of the nicest ladies in the world, Vicki. You made a $100 donation to us last night. That was so nice of you.

00:17:23 - 00:17:24 | Speaker 5:

Yes, I did.

00:17:25 - 00:17:26 | Speaker 2:

How was your night, by the way?

00:17:26 - 00:17:34 | Speaker 5:

It wasn't bad And it was funny because I got to the bowling team And I go, what's the name of our bowling league?

00:17:34 - 00:17:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, Vicky showed up just to drop off money And she said, I gotta go to bowling And I said, what's your bowling team's name? She goes, I don't know

00:17:41 - 00:17:56 | Speaker 5:

You know what I mean? Because I went there just because one of the other girls passed away And one of the other girls asked me if I wanted to bowl And I go, sure So I really didn't know our names And I've been there for almost two years

00:17:56 - 00:17:59 | Speaker 4:

Oh, look at two years. Vicki, you've got to get on that.

00:18:01 - 00:18:16 | Speaker 5:

And I laughed at her and I go, and I looked at the other girl, Cheryl was filling in yesterday. I said, what's her name? And she goes, I don't know. So we looked at our team leader and she said, what's her name? And she goes, oh, it's Girls with Balls.

00:18:16 - 00:18:17 | Speaker 2:

Girls with Balls, I love it.

00:18:17 - 00:18:18 | Unknown:

That's good, perfect.

00:18:19 - 00:18:22 | Speaker 2:

Vicki, thank you for coming out. We love you so much.

00:18:23 - 00:18:26 | Speaker 5:

I loved it. I loved meeting with the three of you guys.

00:18:26 - 00:18:32 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and by the way, $31,000, so you were part of that, so thank you so much.

00:18:32 - 00:18:34 | Speaker 5:

Oh, wonderful, wonderful, thank you.

00:18:35 - 00:18:38 | Speaker 2:

It's going to be amazing, and we're going to grant another wish coming up here in just a little bit.

00:18:39 - 00:18:47 | Speaker 3:

How smart are you? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. We have to go back in 10s. Where we give you a bunch of events, and you tell us what year it happened.

00:18:47 - 00:18:55 | Speaker 2:

All right, these are for Lions tickets for this weekend. This was the year that One Direction was formed after auditioning on The X Factor.

00:18:55 - 00:19:10 | Speaker 1:

Um, well, I've always wanted to audition, but I've always been too young. Okay. All right, what are you going to sing? I'll do Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonder. Okay. Isn't that crazy? The second Sex and the City movie came out. In the middle of the Arabian Desert, if you're not having a hot flash, you're dead.

00:19:11 - 00:19:28 | Speaker 2:

And Katy Perry had California Girls on the radio. What year was it? We'll take a quick break. We'll be back with the Dirty and you winning Lions tickets coming up. Bye. What a big brain you have. Tell us when that stuff happened.

00:19:28 - 00:19:41 | Speaker 3:

Call us at 844-MOJO-LIVE to tell us. 844-665-6548. How good is your memory? It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:19:41 - 00:19:46 | Speaker 2:

So wild to listen to their voices now, but this is when One Direction formed on The X Factor.

00:19:46 - 00:19:55 | Speaker 1:

Well, I've always wanted to audition, but I've always been too young. Okay. All right, what are you gonna say? I'll do isn't she lovely by Stevie Wonder. Okay. Good luck and

00:19:56 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 2:

The second sex in the city movie came out

00:20:00 - 00:20:05 | Speaker 1:

I'm having a hot flash. You're on a camel in the middle of the Arabian Desert. If you're not having a hot flash, you're dead.

00:20:05 - 00:20:24 | Speaker 3:

Big song. California girls, what year was this? We'll set you up with the prize. What year was that, Kathy? 2010. There you go. Congratulations. What gave it away?

00:20:25 - 00:20:26 | Speaker 2:

One Direction.

00:20:27 - 00:20:42 | Speaker 3:

Yes, you got it. Congratulations. We're setting you up with the prize. Thank you so much. We appreciate you so much for listening to the show. You got tickets, and you're going this weekend to the Lions against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Ford Field.

00:20:43 - 00:20:45 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. I'm so excited.

00:20:45 - 00:20:48 | Speaker 3:

We're excited for you. So hang on the phone, and we'll get your information, okay?

00:20:49 - 00:20:50 | Speaker 1:

Thank you.

00:20:50 - 00:20:51 | Speaker 3:

Have a great weekend.

00:20:51 - 00:20:59 | Speaker 4:

Don't apologize for laughing at somebody during Spike's phone scan. This is morning at 6.50 on Mojo in the Morning.

00:20:59 - 00:21:34 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I like him. Hey, let's give away some Jingle Ball tickets. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Win tickets to Jingle Ball right now. All you have to do is text LCA to 95500. So text LCA, as in Little Caesars Arena, where Jingle Ball will be on Tuesday, to 95500. Standard text and data rates to apply. And you could be going to Jingle Ball Tuesday happening. It's going to be fun. Backstreet Boys, Kid LaRoy, and everybody else. So Shannon's got the dirty right now, and we'll go through our tacks.

00:21:34 - 00:21:45 | Speaker 2:

We've got an update for you on the Good Morning America Affair scandal. Amy Robach. Why are we so invested? TJ Holmes. I don't know. I don't know, but I am. It's funny.

00:21:45 - 00:21:50 | Speaker 3:

Nobody watches, it seems like, news anymore, but we like it when the anchors are banging each other. Yeah.

00:21:50 - 00:22:38 | Speaker 2:

Well, they've been hooking up for a while now, Amy and TJ have. And I just learned that her divorce from Melrose Place actor Andrew Hsu, it's almost done. It's almost finalized. It's been going on for a while. She is happily in a relationship with her co-anchor. That is not a secret over there. A friend of hers says Amy's husband moved out earlier this summer. They constantly had problems over the years, and so they finally just went their separate ways. Now, TJ was in a 12-year marriage, and he left his spouse back in the summer. And I also got this info. Amy and TJ will not be disciplined by ABC over their romantic relationship. They are two consenting adults on equal levels within the company. And a source over at ABC said they're in a relationship. They're happy. They are both broken up from their spouses. They're two consenting adults. They have the right to do what they want here.

00:22:38 - 00:22:40 | Speaker 3:

Want to hear what it sounded like yesterday on the show?

00:22:40 - 00:22:42 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yes. I should grab this for you. I'm sorry.

00:22:42 - 00:23:01 | Speaker 3:

So yesterday, Amy was not there. It was, it's supposed to be three people. Amy Robach, TJ Holmes, and then Jen Ashton, their medical correspondent. TJ is the only guy on the set. He looks very somber for a second and then comes out and does this whole thing. Hold on a second.

00:23:02 - 00:23:06 | Speaker 1:

Now from Times Square, TJ Holmes and Amy Robach with Dr.

00:23:07 - 00:23:11 | Speaker 3:

Oh, hold on. Starts again. Sorry about that, Mike. The internet's bad.

00:23:11 - 00:23:17 | Speaker 1:

Now from Times Square, TJ Holmes and Amy Robach with Dr. Jen Ashton.

00:23:17 - 00:24:02 | Speaker 4:

and what you need to know all right welcome to gma3 minus two ain't that something uh yes roach is not here dr ashton not here stuck with me folks uh just take it in eat it up right donsel um but yes those two are on the side but they are working today don't worry uh thank you billy for that at least one member of the crew is supportive of just tj being here uh-huh is what you need to That's so awkward. And you can leave us now with comfort in knowing, guys, that Roboc and Dr. Ashton will be back real, real soon, okay? Won't be stuck with me. Just me, much longer. Follow us here at ABC News. Have you still have a great Wednesday.

00:24:03 - 00:24:39 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Wow. Calls her Rock. Roboc. Just your last name. I like it. It's kind of interesting. You know, it's interesting. I've seen on radio boyfriend-girlfriend teams and husband-wife teams and stuff like that. I wonder if they'll keep them together with each other and have their sexual chemistry appear on the air while they talk about COVID. But wouldn't people actually like that? Well, I would think that it would be now more watchable because you would say to yourself, okay, all right, I want to see what goes on. I want to see if these guys flirt with each other. Maybe they got to fight at home.

00:24:39 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 2:

I was going to say, it's not flirting. I could care less about that. I want to see you on a bad day and see how professional you can kiss it on the air. I feel like they're just so good at hiding it. You never know. I don't know. For the second year in a row, Kim Kardashian hired Grammy-winning pianist Philip Cornish to wake up her four kids every morning with beautiful Christmas music.

00:25:00 - 00:25:57 | Speaker 3:

you have to go on her instagram story and see the setting as well this is what rich people do sits at this all-white piano next to a huge glimmering christmas tree you can hear her kids in the background it's gorgeous and while kim claims the tradition helps her kids calm down before school social media is calling her out of touch for this one person role isn't that nice that kim kardashian pays somebody to play the piano to wake her kids up in the morning What's wrong with just saying Get the hell out of bed Another wrote And this is why she needs That $200,000 a month In child support Referencing Kim and Kanye's Recent child support agreement That would be better That's my favorite In a brand new interview Ashanti describing how a music producer Tried to force her Into showers and sex As a payment for studio recordings

00:25:57 - 00:26:28 | Speaker 2:

absolutely i've been in a crazy situation with one producer um i don't even i think i might have talked about this once one producer like we did two records together he was like okay you know i'm not gonna charge you you know you my homie whatever whatever and then when it came time to put on the album he was like well let's take a shower together and i thought he was joking like i thought he was joking and then he's like nah i'm dead serious like you know let's go out and Let's take a shower together and I'll give you the records. If not, I need 40 racks per record. Jesus.

00:26:29 - 00:27:17 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, after realizing he wasn't joking, Ashanti said she made a couple of phone calls to handle the situation, and she said she will probably, she's thinking about exposing who this producer is in the future in her memoir. And lastly, a TikTok star who hit a golf ball into the Grand Canyon is finally getting some consequences for what she did. 20-year-old Katie Sigmund hit a golf ball, and subsequently lost most of her club too when it fell into the Grand Canyon after the ball did. Grand Canyon law enforcement had a bunch of people tipping them off about this. They saw it on TikTok, sent it to them. So they identified and contacted Katie, slapped her with three federal violation notices. She was charged with three Class B misdemeanors and she's going to have to pay a fine as well because she wanted to make a cool TikTok.

00:27:17 - 00:27:28 | Speaker 4:

I was wondering if it's illegal to do that into lakes and rivers and stuff like that because you see people that will do that sometimes. Guys that will pull over to the side of the road and knock into Lake St. Clair.

00:27:28 - 00:27:30 | Speaker 5:

It definitely is in national or state parks.

00:27:30 - 00:27:34 | Speaker 3:

State parks, yeah. Don't they make biodegradable balls with fish food in them?

00:27:35 - 00:27:35 | Speaker 4:

I don't know.

00:27:35 - 00:27:37 | Speaker 3:

I have never heard of that before.

00:27:37 - 00:27:40 | Speaker 4:

I'm not a golfer, but... I'll go to Carl's Golf Land today and I'll find out.

00:27:40 - 00:27:44 | Speaker 3:

I think they do for people who live on the water who want to shoot into the ocean and stuff.

00:27:44 - 00:27:45 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

00:27:45 - 00:27:48 | Speaker 3:

So Michelle had some complaints about a neighbor that was very loud. And actually, it was something that's been going on for a while. And it finally just hit her. I got to complain about this. Well, we heard about this from her family. And we're going to take it a step further with a phone scan. You're home with the phone scams. This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:29:05 - 00:29:18 | Speaker 5:

Hello? Yeah, hi. Calling for Michelle, please. This is Michelle. Hey, Michelle. This is Mark Lacharte. I'm the owner of the property. You spoke with Jeff, my property manager, and he brought me up to speed that you had a complaint. Can you tell me what happened?

00:29:19 - 00:30:12 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yes. Thanks for calling me. So the neighbor in an apartment has been a real problem lately. Ever since he's moved in, it's been loud music, you know, slamming doors, barking dogs. I put up with it for a while, but he started coming home late at night recently, maybe the last two weeks or so and he turned his music up and would you ask him to turn it down well i went to talk to him the other day and i was like hey you know i have a son you know he's got to sleep for school and the guy just flipped me off and you know slammed the door in my face and that was that was it for me so i decided to call and leave a complaint okay yeah that's the report i have too and that's what i'm calling to talk about so i'm gonna give you official notice and you have 30 days to vacate the premises

00:30:12 - 00:30:19 | Speaker 4:

you have to move wait what i can't tolerate you i'm not the one making the noise though i'm the

00:30:19 - 00:30:24 | Speaker 1:

one that was making the complaint right well i won't have that type of behavior on my property

00:30:25 - 00:30:26 | Speaker 4:

I'm the one that complained, though.

00:30:27 - 00:30:33 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you're a rat. What, a little noise at night? And you have to tell the whole world and get them in trouble, try and get them kicked out?

00:30:35 - 00:30:40 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I can't be the only one you've heard from. The noise, the door slamming.

00:30:40 - 00:30:44 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, well, I don't tolerate tattletales. That asshole's my cousin.

00:30:45 - 00:30:47 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that's a nice way to run a business.

00:30:48 - 00:30:50 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you came for my family, and that's where I draw the line.

00:30:51 - 00:30:54 | Speaker 4:

This is unbelievable. Yeah, it is.

00:30:54 - 00:30:58 | Speaker 1:

It's crazy that I have to deal with people like you, so I need you to move out by the end of the month.

00:31:00 - 00:31:01 | Speaker 4:

No.

00:31:01 - 00:31:09 | Speaker 1:

Well, you'll get a notice in the mail in the next two days, but I wanted to handle it in person and let you know. Handle it in person like you should have done with the person down the hall.

00:31:10 - 00:31:14 | Speaker 4:

I did, and he came and he flipped me off and slammed the door in my face.

00:31:14 - 00:31:23 | Speaker 1:

Well, now I'm slamming the door. Get out of my building. And if you don't do it in 30 days, I'll call the cops and put you out.

00:31:23 - 00:31:25 | Speaker 4:

You are an a**hole.

00:31:25 - 00:31:25 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, maybe.

00:31:26 - 00:31:32 | Speaker 4:

I can't be the only one that was calling about that noise and the rattling windows and the slamming doors.

00:31:32 - 00:31:40 | Speaker 1:

Well, your sister Lisa called us. Wait, what? Lisa called us and told us to phone scam you, Michelle. This is Spike from the Mojo in the Morning Show.

00:31:44 - 00:31:49 | Speaker 5:

You have no idea. I hear his music every night, and it's not even good music.

So it's Mojo in the mornings. Five is 6.55. WKQ-IFM HD2 and HD3 Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning live.

00:37:27 - 00:38:00 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning. Hey, before we do the wish, can I do something a little self-serving? I met these young guys that were at the Red Robin yesterday. And look at this. They wrote me their names in crayon. Oh, a real crayon. I want to say hello to Brandon and Zaire, who are the cutest little guys ever. And they came out with their mom and their little baby sister, and they were awesome. Awesome family. So I'm going to say hi to them and hope that they have a great day at school today. Can I give a shout out to you?

00:38:00 - 00:38:05 | Speaker 2:

I was going to say, thank you again if you missed it. We raised $31,000 last night. Thanks to our listeners.

00:38:05 - 00:38:20 | Speaker 1:

We did. I want to give a shout out to little Raina. She's seven years old. She gave us $100 from her piggy bank last night and to the team at Allen Park Dentistry who came out to support us last night. That's the dentist that I used to go to growing up.

00:38:20 - 00:38:24 | Speaker 3:

That's cool. I know that was like old home coming for you.

00:38:24 - 00:38:25 | Speaker 1:

It was. It was.

00:38:26 - 00:39:05 | Speaker 3:

All right. Mojo in the Morning, Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish. Thank you to the great people that have helped us with the Christmas wishes this year. A huge thank you to Clean View Auto Wash. Love those guys so much. Your help, along with the help of the Imagine Theaters and Red Robin, is why we're able to grant these Christmas wishes. And this morning, it's going to be a tearjerker, okay? Mike is out this morning. We are in Hamtramck, Michigan. And, Mike, you are standing right next to Mrs. Ricosi, one of the best teachers in all of America. How are you? Good morning. Good morning. Hey, how are you?

00:39:05 - 00:39:14 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, the EC teachers and Grandma Sue and many friends around and the good Hamtramck police officers, too, to help us.

00:39:14 - 00:39:28 | Speaker 3:

I love it. All right, so I want to just real quick before we go up and surprise this family, I want you, Ms. McCrossey, to talk about this sweet little boy, Sebastian, and how Sebastian is obsessed with Christmas, right?

00:39:29 - 00:39:38 | Speaker 5:

He is obsessed with Christmas and everything sparkly and animals. If you could glue those two together, you would have a perfect day for him.

00:39:39 - 00:39:42 | Speaker 3:

How many years have you been teaching, if you don't mind? I know that's a personal question.

00:39:42 - 00:39:48 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my gosh. I've been teaching kindergarten and first grade, and it's over about 31 years. Oh, my goodness.

00:39:49 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 3:

And you and I talked, okay, what, a week ago or so? And when we talked, Mr. Cozy, you talked about how you have a very diverse class. As a matter of fact, in Hamtramck, it's a very diverse neighborhood.

00:40:00 - 00:40:16 | Speaker 2:

A lot of people that come from different countries. As a matter of fact, it's a lot of different languages, different religions. And Sebastian is, like, so excited about Christmas. He kind of, like, exemplifies what Christmas is all about and talks to his friends all the time about how much he loves Santa Claus.

00:40:18 - 00:40:25 | Speaker 3:

Exactly. Exactly. And, you know, he's one of the few students in our school that celebrate Polish Christmas.

00:40:26 - 00:40:40 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's cool. I like it. So, you're going to hear in just a second the letter that Ms. Ricosi is going to read for us about Sebastian's mom and how she was diagnosed with cancer. And, Mike, are you ready to do the surprise of surprises?

00:40:41 - 00:40:43 | Speaker 3:

Yes. Oh, I'm so ready.

00:40:43 - 00:41:12 | Speaker 2:

All right. I'm going to use your phone for the surprise once we get them on the phone and you guys walk up to the door. But, KP, dial up the family and let's do it. Mojo in the Morning, Breaking and Entering, Christmas Wish. Hello. Hey, is this Kevin?

00:41:13 - 00:41:14 | Speaker 1:

Yes, this is Kevin.

00:41:14 - 00:41:17 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Kevin Mojo from Mojo in the Morning Show.

00:41:17 - 00:41:17 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Mojo.

00:41:18 - 00:41:38 | Speaker 2:

How you doing, buddy? How you doing? I'm doing fantastic, man. Kevin, I know you're a busy guy, and I know that you and Alex have your hands full there at the house, but I wanted to call you because we received a letter about Alex and about you and about your sweet Sebastian.

00:41:40 - 00:41:42 | Speaker 3:

Okay. I appreciate it.

00:41:43 - 00:41:51 | Speaker 2:

It's our breaking and entering Christmas wish that we do, and the beautiful lady who wrote this letter is going to read it to you, okay? Okay.

00:41:51 - 00:43:22 | Speaker 3:

Dear Mojo in the Morning, Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish, my name is Janice Roccozzi, and I am a first-grade teacher in the early childhood elementary in Hamtramck. I want to tell you about one of my students. His name is Sebastian. Sebastian and his family have had a rough couple of months. The school year started with devastation right off the bat. His mom was diagnosed with cancer. In addition, Sebastian's big brother has severe autism and intends a special school. In order to get mom to her appointments and his brother to school, Sebastian's dad and grandma spend long hours every day in the car, and that's on top of working to make ends meet. The family is in need of a new mode of transportation as they're currently experiencing car trouble, making it difficult to get mom to appointments. They're also needing warm clothing, sensory items for Aiden, and truly just an opportunity to spend some quality time together. If I had a magic wand, I would be their fairy godmother and make all this happen for them. But Mojo, you have many more resources than I do, and you bring so much happiness to so many families. Please make this family's Christmas one they will never forget. sincerely and so happy to be Sebastian's teacher, Janice Farkozy.

00:43:25 - 00:43:27 | Speaker 2:

Mrs. Farkozy's a sweet lady, isn't she?

00:43:28 - 00:43:30 | Speaker 3:

Wow, that's I'm speechless.

00:43:32 - 00:43:34 | Speaker 4:

I'm floored. I'm very thankful.

00:43:34 - 00:43:44 | Speaker 1:

All our teachers are amazing but Janice said, I wish I could be their fairy godmother. Well, she was this morning because she took the time to write that email and it got to us.

00:43:44 - 00:43:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yes Kevin how is your sweet Alex Doing right now

00:43:52 - 00:43:54 | Speaker 4:

She's doing good She's here right now

00:43:54 - 00:43:56 | Speaker 2:

Is she Alex

00:43:56 - 00:43:59 | Speaker 4:

Good morning

00:43:59 - 00:44:01 | Speaker 2:

We're praying for you

00:44:01 - 00:44:04 | Speaker 4:

Thank you I appreciate it

00:44:04 - 00:44:08 | Speaker 2:

How's everything been going What are the doctors saying

00:44:08 - 00:44:18 | Speaker 4:

I actually see the doctor On the 14th of this month for a review of everything after my chemo on the 13th.

00:44:18 - 00:44:29 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Hey, Kevin, I know you've been strong, but I know that it can't be easy with seeing the love of your life going through this and seeing your sweet children going through this.

00:44:30 - 00:44:36 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it's a lot. It's definitely something different.

00:44:36 - 00:44:56 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Well, we want to make sure the kids have Christmas, okay? Okay. And I hope you guys don't mind this. Kevin, don't beat me up, but we got a lot of people that are out in front of your house right now. Would you mind if we come into your home at this moment as we break into your home to bring Christmas to you guys?

00:44:58 - 00:45:02 | Speaker 4:

No, I don't. They're at the door. Yes, they are. We know.

00:45:03 - 00:45:07 | Speaker 2:

We're one step ahead of you, Alex. Hello.

00:45:08 - 00:45:11 | Speaker 4:

Merry Christmas. Hi.

00:45:14 - 00:45:19 | Speaker 1:

Poor Alex is like, you really didn't give me a chance to answer that question of whether or not.

00:45:20 - 00:45:26 | Speaker 4:

I didn't say yes or no. I hear my kids.

00:45:27 - 00:45:29 | Speaker 1:

Oh, look at this.

00:45:30 - 00:45:32 | Speaker 4:

They came rushing to the door. They heard. They heard.

00:45:32 - 00:45:42 | Speaker 1:

They heard. Who do we got there? We got Leland and Aiden, Sebastian. Yeah. Where's Leland?

00:45:43 - 00:46:32 | Speaker 4:

00:47:19 - 00:47:20 | Speaker 4:

00:47:20 - 00:47:22 | Speaker 5:

Alex, we're obviously giving...

00:47:22 - 00:47:25 | Speaker 4:

I don't even know what to say. I'm going through a lot of people.

00:47:26 - 00:47:47 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, there's a lot of people there because we have a lot of gifts to bring in. Obviously, we're bringing in all the clothes and pajamas and jackets and shoes that your kids need, the toys and games. But also for you, your comfort... Listen, I'm a big Michigan fan, but your comfort comes before any silly rivalry. I understand you're an Ohio State fan, aren't you?

00:47:48 - 00:47:50 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I am. I was very upset about that game.

00:47:51 - 00:48:06 | Speaker 5:

Well, we'll try and, you know, we'll try and smooth it over. We're going to give you some Ohio State, a sweater and slippers and heated blanket. And we got an iPad that you can use during treatment. So you can watch the team rebound next year, maybe.

00:48:07 - 00:48:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, most definitely.

00:48:09 - 00:48:21 | Speaker 1:

And we also want to make sure that when you get through your treatments, that you have everything you need to kind of get comforted. So we even put in a spa gift card there so that you have that.

00:48:21 - 00:48:23 | Speaker 2:

A little spa day. Yeah. You deserve that.

00:48:23 - 00:48:24 | Speaker 1:

It's going to be cool.

00:48:24 - 00:48:40 | Speaker 2:

No, I know Leland and Aiden are there, and they're probably listening to us on speakerphone, and we did not forget about you guys. So we got all sorts of sensory toys for Leland. We got him a sensory chair. We know he loves soccer, so we got him some soccer stuff. Aiden, can Aiden hear us?

00:48:40 - 00:48:41 | Speaker 1:

Aiden? No.

00:48:41 - 00:48:44 | Speaker 2:

I don't want to ruin the surprise, but we heard.

00:48:44 - 00:48:49 | Speaker 4:

And Aiden's not a big fan of a lot of people, so he took off. Okay, that's okay. That's okay. That's okay.

00:48:49 - 00:49:04 | Speaker 2:

It kind of sounds like Megan. Megan, did that sound like that? We heard that he was dreaming and wishing for a Nintendo Switch. So along with everything else we got him, we put a Switch in there for him. Oh, my God. So he's going to be so – I'm so excited for him to open that.

00:49:04 - 00:49:06 | Speaker 5:

And, Kevin, you're a Tigers fan.

00:49:06 - 00:49:12 | Speaker 1:

Put Kevin on the phone, can't you, Alex, so we can talk to Kevin real quick? Yes, I'm here. Kevin, yeah.

00:49:12 - 00:49:26 | Speaker 5:

You're a Tigers fan, Kevin, so we can't forget you. We got you. If you see, one of those bags has a Detroit Tigers hat and a Detroit Tigers blanket. And, oh, a pair of tickets to opening day so you can go to the show.

00:49:26 - 00:49:53 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yes. Just this time, my birthday's on April the 5th. Oh, that's perfect. Big win for Kevin. Kevin, can I? Great birthday present for me. I appreciate you. Thank you so much. They're going to be good, too. Sebastian's not going to be in that day, just so you guys know. yeah what a good memory for you guys to have yeah this is something to never forget i really do appreciate you guys from the bottom of my heart you just stop it right now we're not done kevin i

00:49:53 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 1:

will never forget how much my dad stepped up as a dad uh and a husband when my mom was bad

00:50:00 - 00:50:32 | Speaker 2:

and cancer. And when I heard the story from Ms. Ricosi about how you have been stepping up in such a huge way, you remind me so much of my pops. This is like the most brutal time ever. Your beautiful wife's going to get through this and you guys are going to be so close as a family afterwards. But I know that the bills and everything like that has been a struggle. Yeah. Our friends at Kroger are going to help you guys out with food and everything. They're going to give you like a $500 gift card to fill up all your cupboards, okay?

00:50:33 - 00:50:37 | Speaker 5:

I appreciate it. Thank you so much, guys.

00:50:37 - 00:50:49 | Speaker 2:

And we want to make sure that you have gas to get to and from treatments and taking Sebastian, Leland, Aiden to school. So we put $450 worth of gas cards in there.

00:50:50 - 00:50:58 | Speaker 3:

We organized an entire dinner and a movie date night for you and your beautiful wife so you guys can get out and have some quality time together.

00:50:58 - 00:51:31 | Speaker 2:

And our friends, Mark and Chris, over at a company called Motor City Pawn Brokers, they have locations all around town, Detroit, Warren, Roseville, Ferndale. They're opening, actually, in 2023 in Hamtramck. They heard about you guys with your automotive issues, and they heard what was going on here. And so they wrote a check to break an end on Christmas wish, which we are going to endorse over to you. for $5,000 to get some transportation.

00:51:32 - 00:51:48 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Thank you so much, guys. I don't know what to say. Thank you so much, guys. I really do appreciate it. This really is going to help a lot. And I appreciate it. Thank you so much.

00:51:49 - 00:52:18 | Speaker 2:

We appreciate you guys. We love you guys so much. And, Alex, we're praying for you. One last thing. I know that this seems like a lot, but one last thing, we want you, when everything's all said and done, to get away with your family, so we're going to send you guys on a trip as a family to Kalahari so that you guys can go and have a stay there and take the kids to celebrate Alex getting through this time, okay?

00:52:19 - 00:52:22 | Speaker 5:

I appreciate it. Thank you so much. I know the kids are going to have a blast.

00:52:23 - 00:52:38 | Speaker 3:

Oh, they will. And I want to say something, too, because, Alex, you said your next appointment with your doctor is December 14th, okay? And we believe in the power of prayer on this show. And just know how many millions of people you have that are going to be thinking about you on December 14th, okay?

00:52:39 - 00:52:41 | Speaker 4:

Thank you so much.

00:52:42 - 00:52:46 | Speaker 2:

Mrs. Ricosi, you are amazing. Thank you for telling us about this family.

00:52:47 - 00:52:48 | Speaker 3:

You're a fairy godmother today.

00:52:49 - 00:52:53 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Hello. Yes. Hello, fairy godmother.

00:52:54 - 00:52:57 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, the fairy godmother has tears. We all have tears.

00:52:57 - 00:53:07 | Speaker 1:

Thanks to the Hamtramck Police Department, because we found out we over shopped. We had so many things to bring in the house. They volunteered to help us deliver Christmas this morning.

00:53:08 - 00:53:09 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, they're the best.

00:53:10 - 00:53:12 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Mike, turn it into a party, okay?

00:53:13 - 00:53:29 | Speaker 4:

All right, on the count of three, I need everybody in the house. We have a police officer here, so it's okay, I promise. He'll give us a big Merry Christmas. You guys ready? One, two, three. Merry Christmas!

00:53:30 - 00:53:36 | Speaker 6:

00:54:46 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Jingle Balls on Tuesday. Ooh, my mic sounded weird on that one when I said that. Bad processor, I think, Randy. Jingle Ball is Tuesday. Did you hear?

00:55:57 - 00:56:00 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30

00:56:00 - 00:56:04 | Speaker 1:

Shannon with What's Trending Right Now in the Dirty on the 30

00:56:04 - 00:56:21 | Speaker 2:

Well, Kanye West finding himself back in the dirty again today for saying he loves Hitler and defending Nazis during an appearance on Alex Jones' podcast Infowars Yes, and I have it for you The audio is kind of muffly It's not the greatest quality, but here it is

00:56:21 - 00:57:01 | Speaker 4:

I see good things about Hitler also. I love everyone, and Jewish people are not going to tell me, you can love us, and you can love what we're doing to you with the contracts, and you can love what we're pushing with the pornography. But this guy that invented highways, invented the very microphone that I use as a musician, you can't say out loud that this person ever did anything good, And I'm done with that I'm done with the classifications Every human being has something of value That they brought to the table Especially Hitler How about that one?

00:57:01 - 00:57:03 | Speaker 2:

I didn't know that Hitler invented highways and microphones

00:57:03 - 00:57:28 | Speaker 3:

It's muffled because he's wearing his dumb mask Where he can't see his face But the host even Tried to throw him a softball I know I'm trying not to say his name And promote him He was trying to say Well, your critics are coming down to you, but you're not Hitler. You're not a Nazi. And then, like, he didn't, instead of playing that down, he doubled down. I love Hitler.

00:57:29 - 00:57:38 | Speaker 2:

He said he was a really good leader. He denied that Hitler had ordered the deaths of six million Jews. And even as they were trying to go to break, he kept going.

00:57:39 - 00:57:55 | Speaker 5:

The most Nazi-like activities I've seen, and the Nazis, in my view, were thugs. It shook people down to a lot of really bad things. But they did good things, too. We're going to stop dissing the Nazis all the time. Okay. I'm just saying, I don't like Nazis, and I don't like what some of the mafias are doing either. I like Hitler.

00:57:55 - 00:58:05 | Speaker 2:

I love Hitler. He kept saying that over and over. Just really strange. Have you guys seen Simon Cowell lately? Like I'm talking the past couple of weeks.

00:58:05 - 00:58:06 | Speaker 1:

No, where has he been?

00:58:07 - 00:58:35 | Speaker 2:

So, he has an ever-changing face, okay? This has been going on for a while. But now he's sparking concern, genuine concern from fans, after appearing quite unrecognizable in a new video that he posted to Twitter to encourage people to audition for Britain's Got Talent. His face is really shiny. His teeth are super, super white. His features are enhanced. Like, he looks like fake. He looks like he had even more cosmetic procedures done.

00:58:35 - 00:58:41 | Speaker 3:

So I'm looking at your dirty page, and it really looks like you posted a picture of his wax figure from Madame Tussauds.

00:58:41 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 2:

And that's so that you took the words right out of my mouth. That is, the picture has actually been deleted, or the video has actually been deleted from Twitter because trolls were saying he looks like a wax figure at Madame Tussauds. Like, he doesn't even look like himself. And the thing is, he said last month in an interview that he was going to be cutting back on cosmetic procedures and Botox. He had, like, a little addiction to Botox. But it seems like he's kind of full speed ahead at this point. I mean, truly does not look like the man who we saw sitting behind that judge's table on American Idol back in the day. crazy jack carlo has announced a las vegas residency for the spring of 2023 if you're a fan he's going to be taking over resort world's zook nightclub for his first class residency that's kicking off on march 18th um he performed there earlier this year and had a good reception so i'm doing a residency as we're seeing a lot of artists do at this point and lastly an update for michigan fans running back blake quorum will undergo surgery on his knee a source confirmed to ESPN yesterday, which means he's out for the season, right? Info has left me at the end of the first half when the Wolverines were playing Illinois. It was bad enough. It does require surgery. So as Michigan prepares for the Big Ten championship game tomorrow against Purdue, the team will look to Donovan Edwards.

01:00:00 - 01:00:00 | Speaker 1:

Larry Deload is running back.

01:00:00 - 01:00:02 | Speaker 2:

West Bloomfield High School Laker.

01:00:03 - 01:00:03 | Unknown:

Yep.

01:00:03 - 01:00:18 | Speaker 2:

Donovan Edwards. By the way, I asked a question. What is that thing called where the players get contracts money-wise? I asked somebody a question. I go, hey, does Donovan have one of those? What are they, NIL or something like that? Whatever the heck they're called. What's it called?

01:00:18 - 01:00:19 | Speaker 5:

Like a stipend thing?

01:00:19 - 01:00:21 | Speaker 2:

No. Yeah, they pay them, but they call it something like.

01:00:21 - 01:00:22 | Speaker 5:

They call it MI.

01:00:22 - 01:00:49 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. If Mike was with us, he would know. It's an NIL. Is that what it's called? An NIL? So I asked if Donovan had one, and they said, no, he doesn't have one. And I wanted to do – I was like, man, Mojo on the Morning Show should do it because we kind of know all the people around him through West Bloomfield. And so I was going to try to do it. Too late now. This guy is going to be worth a ton of money now because he's now the running back. How do you think that that will be? He's got, what, a broken hand or something that he's been playing with?

01:00:49 - 01:01:06 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and that's the craziest part. I got nervous when he came out on the field in Ohio State, and you see his Paul all wrapped up, and I'm like, how's he going to catch a football? That dude constantly, like there was Velcro on that ball. I don't know how you hold on. I can't hold on to a football with two hands. And he was doing it with one hand and a cast. Jumping six feet in the air.

01:01:06 - 01:01:10 | Speaker 1:

For all of today's dirty, check out the dirty page on thedrythemorning.com.

01:01:16 - 01:01:22 | Speaker 2:

By the way, if Donovan wants to do one with us, we'll pay him. We only have like $1,000, though, that we can pay.

01:01:23 - 01:01:24 | Speaker 4:

Coffee, free coffee.

01:01:24 - 01:01:33 | Speaker 2:

I mean, that could be $1,000 to a college student. Back in the day, it used to be a lot of money. Now, if you're a college student playing on a Michigan soon-to-be national championship team, what?

01:01:34 - 01:01:39 | Speaker 3:

Let's go! Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30, and another world-famous phone scam is next.

01:01:41 - 01:02:02 | Speaker 2:

All right, Mojo in the Morning Show is breaking and entering Christmas. Wish has another wish coming up later this morning, and we are granting this wish with the Detroit Pistons. So we will have that for you coming up after 8 o'clock this morning on the show. So stick around for that. Don't go anywhere. And thanks for listening to the show. All right, let me get my music.

01:02:03 - 01:02:05 | Speaker 3:

Your call may be monitored or recorded.

01:02:08 - 01:02:08 | Speaker 2:

Anna?

01:02:10 - 01:02:10 | Unknown:

Hello?

01:02:11 - 01:02:13 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Anna. You're a winner. Congratulations.

01:02:15 - 01:02:16 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

01:02:16 - 01:02:25 | Speaker 2:

I'm so excited. Setting up with Jingle Ball tickets for Tuesday night and $100 of our mistle dough, plus you're qualified for $10,000.

01:02:27 - 01:02:30 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah, yeah. Thank you so much.

01:02:30 - 01:02:40 | Speaker 2:

So if you got $10,000, all right, what would you do with that $10,000? Would it pay bills or would you go out and buy Christmas gifts? What would you do?

01:02:40 - 01:02:55 | Speaker 5:

well i'm a student teacher currently so i would definitely use it to get my kids a little gift for christmas oh sweet and um obviously it would go towards my college i'm a senior so

01:02:55 - 01:03:11 | Speaker 2:

looking for jobs getting ready for that yeah that's cool well congratulations to you and we'll find out if you're the big grand prize winner coming up here soon we're doing more mistle dough coming up at 830 this morning. Appreciate you. Where do you student teach, Anna?

01:03:13 - 01:03:16 | Speaker 5:

In Monclova. In Toledo.

01:03:16 - 01:04:04 | Speaker 2:

You're a KISS listener. I love it. Thank you. Thanks for listening. Thank you so much. Appreciate you. We're on Channel 955 in Detroit, 92.5 KISS FM in Toledo, and 104.5 SNX in Grand Rapids. It's Mojo in the Morning. I've got to give an alert right now. Before we do the scam, I will actually give you a segue to come back to us. because we got scam coming up here in just a little bit and your kids are in the car if you have little teeny ones that love the magic of the season they may not want to hear what we're going to talk about here and for the next I'm going to give it five minutes until we do the scam so you might want to turn them just away for a second my suggestion is if you have little kids that are there give them some kind of candy and have them run over to the

01:04:04 - 01:04:06 | Speaker 1:

yes candy this early in the morning it's a great idea

01:04:06 - 01:04:07 | Speaker 2:

Give them some. It's good stuff.

01:04:07 - 01:04:07 | Speaker 1:

It is, yeah.

01:04:08 - 01:04:20 | Speaker 2:

So guess what was in Shannon's pants is what we're going to talk about right now. And by the way, I guess that could have been a warning in itself, but it was actually kind of heartfelt and wonderful that was in your pants.

01:04:20 - 01:04:22 | Speaker 1:

Is it? Yeah. Yeah, I get that.

01:04:22 - 01:04:24 | Speaker 2:

It was the spirit of the season that was in your pants.

01:04:24 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so I am one of those really weird parents that kind of likes having an elf on the shelf visiting our house during the holiday season. I love the magic of it, and I think that this might be Lucy's last year of the magic if it hasn't happened already. Anyway, so I want to squeeze out as much magic as I can. However, any parent who has an elf in your home, you know the struggle and the anxiety of having to move this thing. It is like the tooth fairy. It is terrifying to try and pull off.

01:05:00 - 01:05:32 | Speaker 2:

every night without getting caught um and i was telling you mojo i it it especially scares me lately because both of my kids tend to wake up in the middle of the night and they'll like wander into my room or wander to try to see like if i'm downstairs or whatever and want me to put them back to bed and i'm so scared that as i'm switching our elf's name is rice krispie treat by the way that as i'm switching rice krispie treat into her various like scenes at night that they're gonna to catch me elf handed well yeah the parents are creating for themselves so basically the

01:05:32 - 01:05:38 | Speaker 4:

tooth fairy situation every single night for a month okay if you don't uh mind me asking when

01:05:38 - 01:06:22 | Speaker 2:

does uh rice krispie treat move sometimes she moves after the kids go to bed and i i think they're asleep sometimes and so far this year we've only had her for two days today's the second day but she has moved in the morning right when i wake up for work at 3 45 because i'm so tired at night and i just fall asleep and i don't have the energy to do it okay understand so the thing that i do to make sure that i am not caught with the elf in my hand is i put her down my pants hey and i walk around the house and try to figure out where i'm gonna put her next okay so you put her so my elf is touching my christmas basically it's very appropriate but i'm like this is kind of as I pull her out of my underwear.

01:06:23 - 01:06:24 | Speaker 4:

Have the kids ever...

01:06:24 - 01:06:33 | Speaker 2:

But I don't... If somebody comes down the stairs or Smith wanders out of his room, at least that way they don't know that the elf is on me.

01:06:33 - 01:06:40 | Speaker 4:

Have the kids ever been by you when all of a sudden they startled you and they say, Mom, what's that?

01:06:40 - 01:06:49 | Speaker 2:

Well, yesterday morning I had set a reminder on my phone to move her because it was the first day. And as I was getting up to do it, Smith woke up.

01:06:49 - 01:06:50 | Speaker 4:

Oh, geez.

01:06:50 - 01:06:56 | Speaker 2:

And I'm like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. So I had to wait a little bit to do it. But I've never been caught.

01:06:57 - 01:07:08 | Speaker 4:

Does this happen to other parents that are listening? Have any other elves almost been caught in their movement time? And what do you do? Where do you have it?

01:07:08 - 01:07:11 | Speaker 1:

I feel like these elves were the best and the worst thing that ever happened to me.

01:07:11 - 01:07:19 | Speaker 2:

Kind of true. I love them. But at the same time, it's like you go into survival mode trying to create. Create this

01:07:19 - 01:07:28 | Speaker 4:

It's like Spike said It's the tooth fairy Times how many more days And it's a pain in the butt With the tooth fairy alone Now you gotta do this With this Yeah

01:07:28 - 01:07:31 | Speaker 1:

It's the list of reasons Why I'm glad I don't Have kids Well and then

01:07:31 - 01:07:39 | Speaker 2:

I miss like I wanna You know my friends All have one elf For every kid In their family And you know Wilhelmina's elf Has pets

01:07:39 - 01:07:40 | Speaker 4:

Your pants aren't big enough For that

01:07:40 - 01:07:47 | Speaker 2:

Pets that come with her They have pets And Jack's elf Oh yes There's a reindeer There's a dog They market the crap Out of this thing

01:07:47 - 01:07:55 | Speaker 4:

in crazy ways. It used to be back in the day that it was just the elf. Now it's the elf with a bunch of other accessories that they can now make money off of. Whoever marketed

01:07:55 - 01:07:59 | Speaker 1:

this thing, you deserve all the money in the world. It was just like

01:07:59 - 01:08:01 | Speaker 2:

a mom who wrote the book

01:08:01 - 01:08:07 | Speaker 4:

with this little doll. You know who hates the elf more than parents having to move it? Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer

01:08:07 - 01:08:09 | Speaker 3:

guy. Nobody cares about him.

01:08:09 - 01:08:13 | Speaker 4:

Grandma got run over by a reindeer guy and all the rest of those people. What's going on, Terry?

01:08:13 - 01:08:15 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Hi, good morning.

01:08:16 - 01:08:20 | Speaker 4:

I love you guys. Hey, we love you too. Did the elf almost get caught moving?

01:08:22 - 01:08:28 | Speaker 3:

My daughter got up, and she never gets up at night, and she got up at night, and I was in the pantry, so I shoved it in a cereal box.

01:08:31 - 01:08:34 | Speaker 2:

Why does the elf smell like Lucky Charms?

01:08:35 - 01:08:39 | Speaker 4:

What would have happened if your daughter just wanted one bowl of cereal before she went to bed?

01:08:40 - 01:08:45 | Speaker 3:

I would have been thankful because I shoved it in a special K and, like, ruined half my cereal. Okay.

01:08:46 - 01:08:48 | Speaker 4:

That's funny. Oh, my God. Isn't it a pain in the butt?

01:08:50 - 01:08:54 | Speaker 3:

I was not upset that I'd left my cereal box open like I normally would have freaked out about it. Yeah.

01:08:55 - 01:09:02 | Speaker 2:

By the way, I'm so happy that other parents are texting that they do the same thing with shoving the elf down your pants as you're walking around the house.

01:09:02 - 01:09:05 | Speaker 3:

I think it's genius, honestly. I was like, that's so smart. It is.

01:09:05 - 01:09:23 | Speaker 4:

Thank you for the call. I appreciate it. Thank you. Uh, texters here texting into us this morning, 248 says that, uh, they had almost an elf capture and they had to throw their elf out into the yard quickly when their kid came into the room. Can you imagine?

01:09:24 - 01:09:24 | Speaker 2:

I know.

01:09:24 - 01:09:30 | Speaker 4:

What happens if you throw it out and then you don't find it or you, something happens, you know, an animal comes and takes it away.

01:09:30 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 2:

Cause Andrew and I, we now each have one at our respective houses and there, we have a backup just in case because we've learned our lesson with this thing do you guys have the elves look like each other like well so now we do but the very first year that he had his own place he got the wrong eye colored elf and the wrong skin tone so different colors yeah so lucy's like how come the elf looks different how come rice krispie treat looks different at dad's house that it doesn't

01:10:00 - 01:10:03 | Speaker 1:

at your house and I had to text Andrew and be like you dummy, you got the wrong one

01:10:03 - 01:10:05 | Speaker 7:

it's the lighting, it's daddy's lighting

01:10:05 - 01:10:09 | Speaker 3:

why is Lucy just too smart don't you wish that your kids weren't that

01:10:09 - 01:10:11 | Speaker 1:

but you know, like you know you're an elf

01:10:11 - 01:10:21 | Speaker 3:

right? I know hold on, let me grab a call here, who's this Marce yes, go ahead, say your name

01:10:21 - 01:10:23 | Speaker 5:

it's Marcellus, how you doing?

01:10:23 - 01:10:24 | Speaker 3:

Marcellus, hey Marcellus, what's the elf's name?

01:10:25 - 01:10:27 | Speaker 5:

it's Chubb

01:10:27 - 01:10:29 | Speaker 3:

I'm sorry, what did you say?

01:10:29 - 01:10:30 | Speaker 5:

We named him a job.

01:10:31 - 01:10:32 | Speaker 7:

Job, okay.

01:10:32 - 01:10:33 | Speaker 1:

That's your elf's name?

01:10:33 - 01:10:36 | Speaker 7:

Yes. You know, when you let the kids name things, they come up with some things.

01:10:36 - 01:10:39 | Speaker 1:

I mean, we have Rice Krispie Treat. My niece has Moana.

01:10:39 - 01:10:41 | Speaker 3:

Trust me. And have you almost been caught?

01:10:42 - 01:11:02 | Speaker 5:

Definitely. So many times we had to literally make the elf fly across their heads. Oh. And then from time to time, we have to literally stuff them in the fridge because they're literally creeping up right behind us. And what are we doing? So as soon as we're trying to get milk and stuff for breakfast, we just stuck them in the fridge. Like, okay, that's where he is.

01:11:03 - 01:11:17 | Speaker 3:

Poor Joe. That is hysterical. Oh, my gosh. Well, thank you so much. I got to wrap this conversation up here in just a second. Thank you. So maybe one last call, KP, and then that's it because we're going to do the scam and then we'll bring the kids back to the radio.

01:11:18 - 01:11:20 | Speaker 7:

We got a Christmas scam and a big prize.

01:11:20 - 01:11:38 | Speaker 3:

Did your parents ever, when you were kids, did they ever send you out of the room for adult conversation? They would do that with us in our house They would say, Mom and Dad are going to have adult conversation And now I know what the adult conversation was It was about things in my mom's pants What's up, Autumn? Hi

01:11:38 - 01:11:40 | Speaker 1:

Hi, good morning

01:11:40 - 01:11:42 | Speaker 3:

How you doing? You almost got caught with the elf?

01:11:42 - 01:11:52 | Speaker 1:

Well, I didn't even get a chance to get caught Because after my daughter, we introduced it to her She understood that it was supposed to tell What she was doing She threw it away

01:11:52 - 01:11:57 | Speaker 7:

You don't want no snitch in the house? Snitches get stitches.

01:11:58 - 01:13:01 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Morgan Wallen tickets. This is awesome. We got tickets to give away before they go on sale. So we made the announcement yesterday. Time now for a phone scam. It's the Mojo in the Morning show. Ever see those inflatable lawn decorations that pop up in everyone's yard around Christmas time? I love them.

01:13:01 - 01:13:02 | Speaker 7:

I know Mike's neighbor's seen them.

01:13:03 - 01:13:16 | Speaker 3:

We are going to call a home improvement store to scam their manager, Todd. Spike is going to complain about a problem that he has with his inflatable snow globe. It's a classic Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

01:13:16 - 01:13:26 | Speaker 4:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scams. Mojo in the morning.

01:13:27 - 01:13:40 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for calling. For directions to the store, press 1. For store hours, press 2. Or to speak with the operator, press 0. Transferring, please hold.

01:13:43 - 01:13:45 | Speaker 6:

Hello, how am I direct to call?

01:13:45 - 01:13:58 | Speaker 7:

Hello. First of all, I have to say that I'm a very big fan of the Christmas lights and the tinsel and the glittery knickknacks on my house to, you know, let the neighbors know that I'm infected with Christmas spirit. So I don't want you to think I'm a Grinch with this phone call, okay?

01:13:59 - 01:14:01 | Speaker 6:

Great. How do I direct your call? Who do you want to talk to?

01:14:02 - 01:14:08 | Speaker 7:

Well, I have a problem with a Christmas ornament, the inflatable snow globe Christmas lawn ornament that I bought at your store.

01:14:09 - 01:14:10 | Speaker 6:

Hang on one second. I'll direct you to seasonal.

01:14:10 - 01:14:14 | Speaker 7:

Wait, hang on one second. I just need to talk to you because are you the manager?

01:14:15 - 01:14:15 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I'm the manager.

01:14:16 - 01:14:27 | Speaker 7:

Okay. Well, I got this ornament at your store. It's the Santa and reindeer sleigh and the plastic snow that blows around in the little snow globe, and it's on my lawn. It's like six feet high. Do you know what I'm talking about?

01:14:28 - 01:14:32 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, well, what's wrong with it? I mean, if it's broken, bring it back in. We'll replace it. No big deal.

01:14:33 - 01:14:34 | Speaker 7:

Well, what do I do about my cat?

01:14:36 - 01:14:38 | Speaker 6:

What do you mean? What do you do about your cat?

01:14:38 - 01:14:41 | Speaker 7:

Well, how do I remove it? How do I get my cat out?

01:14:43 - 01:14:44 | Speaker 6:

Cat out of what?

01:14:44 - 01:14:57 | Speaker 7:

The lawn ornament, the snow globe, the six-foot air-filled plastic billow of fluff that ate my kitty. The cat is stuck in the globe on my lawn. Are you kidding me? That's why I'm calling my cat is stuck in the snow globe

01:15:00 - 01:15:01 | Speaker 3:

Well, how did it get in there?

01:15:01 - 01:15:04 | Speaker 2:

I don't know how he got in there, but now we have a feline fiasco.

01:15:05 - 01:15:09 | Speaker 3:

All right, well, figure it out. However it got in there, that's how you get it out again.

01:15:09 - 01:15:13 | Speaker 2:

Well, how do other customers remove their pet when it becomes lodged in the decoration?

01:15:14 - 01:15:19 | Speaker 3:

I have never heard of another customer getting their pet lodged in a Christmas decoration before.

01:15:19 - 01:15:29 | Speaker 2:

Poor guy keeps looking at me, and I don't know how to get him out. I can't find an entrance, and he keeps blowing around in circles, you know? Hang in there, Dr. Doofenshmirtz. Daddy's going to get you out.

01:15:30 - 01:15:34 | Speaker 3:

Okay, well, why don't you just, you know, cut a hole in it and take them out?

01:15:34 - 01:15:37 | Speaker 2:

I don't want to cut it. I paid 200 clams for it.

01:15:38 - 01:15:41 | Speaker 3:

All right, well, what do you like better? Do you like the owner or do you like the cat?

01:15:41 - 01:15:48 | Speaker 2:

Well, it shouldn't be a discussion of which one I like better. I paid so much money for this thing. What do other people do to get their cat out?

01:15:49 - 01:15:51 | Speaker 3:

I've never heard of anybody having a cat.

01:15:51 - 01:15:58 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's crazy. Now he's stuck in there. His fur is all static clingy and the snow sticking to his fur and his tail and his ears and his tongue.

01:15:58 - 01:16:03 | Speaker 3:

All right, I told you what to do. You can cut a hole or you can unplug it.

01:16:03 - 01:16:11 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I can't unplug it. If the electricity goes out, it deflates and it just kind of collapses on the ground like a used truck stop prophylactic and it'll suffocate.

01:16:12 - 01:16:14 | Speaker 3:

Okay, well, if you unplug it...

01:16:14 - 01:16:17 | Speaker 2:

You know, I'm going to sue you people. You're not very helpful.

01:16:18 - 01:16:20 | Speaker 3:

I just gave you three different ideas.

01:16:20 - 01:16:27 | Speaker 2:

What else do you want from me? Yeah, but you sold me this unwieldy winter wonderland waste of money and now Dr. Doofenshmirtz is in danger.

01:16:28 - 01:16:33 | Speaker 3:

I'm telling you three different ways to do it. Cut a hole, unplug it.

01:16:33 - 01:16:38 | Speaker 2:

Wait, I have another option. What if we just told you that this is Mojo in the Morning if you'd just been phone scammed?

She's got a smile that it seems to me Reminds me of childhood Memories Where everything Was as fresh as the bright blue skies Now and then when I see her face She takes me away to that special place And if I stare too long I'd probably break down and cry

01:28:03 - 01:28:18 | Unknown:

Oh, oh, oh, oh, sweet child of mine Oh, oh, oh, oh, see the love of mine

01:28:18 - 01:29:42 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That was good. That was a good song. Good music. All right. We're going to have to get Mike on the phone because he just did a breaking and entering Christmas wish. So we're going to have to start with him on the phone, but I think he's close to the station. They're just stuck in a little bit of traffic, so he might have to be phone-related today. So, which line is Mike on right there? Okay. So, Miguel will be on the phone for a little bit. See what his ETA is. KP is calling. And with our phone lines, he might be back by the time that we actually get through to him on these phones. There he is. Hi, Mike. How you doing? Hola. How close are you, Mike? We are at the Speedway, like doing that turnaround right by Speedway. Oh, you're right. Okay, so we'll start you on the phone, and then when you come into the studio, just come in and you can shut your mic off or your phone off, okay? Are we ready? Here we go. Here we go. It's Mojo in the Morning's Throwback Throwdown. Okay, throwback throwdown this morning for Jingle Ball tickets. First pick in the draft. Who do you choose? Brooklyn, who are you choosing? Mike. Mike. You got Mike on the phone, soon to be the microphone in just a couple. Mike on the mic. He won't be on the mic for a couple minutes, okay?

01:29:42 - 01:29:43 | Speaker 2:

Right.

01:29:43 - 01:29:52 | Speaker 1:

All right. Next pick in the draft goes to Justin. Justin, who are you choosing? We're going with Megan. You got Megan.

01:29:53 - 01:29:54 | Speaker 2:

Oh, hello, Justin.

01:29:55 - 01:29:57 | Speaker 1:

Why, hello. Good morning.

01:29:57 - 01:30:00 | Speaker 2:

I actually don't know why I said I like that. Oh, I was like.

01:30:00 - 01:30:00 | Speaker 1:

Do you guys know each other?

01:30:01 - 01:30:21 | Speaker 2:

I was going to say, you be careful. I saw your dad last night. He's not going to be happy. You're flirting on the phone lines here today. All right. We got Spike and Shannon still on the board. Matt, you got next choice. I'm going with Shannon. You got it. You got it. And that means that Amanda, Amanda, you have Spike. Right.

01:30:22 - 01:30:26 | Speaker 1:

I'm feeling Amanda Tori Wynn today. It's my birthday today. Oh.

01:30:26 - 01:30:48 | Speaker 2:

Oh, happy birthday. It's your birthday. Thank you. All right, guys, hang on for one second there. You stay there, Mike. I will hear Mike go beep, and that will tell us that he's walking through the world headquarters here at the iHeartRadio Farmington Hills location. Yeah, we're pulling up right now. I see you. I see you in the window there.

01:30:49 - 01:30:51 | Speaker 1:

We can do the first song. Let's go.

01:30:51 - 01:30:59 | Speaker 2:

All right, here, you ready? Yep. First song in the mojo in the morning, throw back, throw down for this week. is

01:30:59 - 01:31:27 | Speaker 1:

Mike Oh, I forgot the name of the group It's like Yusuf or Yusuf What does the fox say? Shannon Is it Ives? What does the fox say? Spike Elves, what does the fox say?

01:31:27 - 01:31:28 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, look at you.

01:31:29 - 01:31:41 | Speaker 1:

He didn't get the point for that. Huh? He did not get a point for that. Why? He did. He got it right. That's right. It's elves. I remember there was an L in it. Yeah. It's like Y-L-V-S or something.

01:31:41 - 01:31:47 | Speaker 2:

Nobody knew that. Nobody knew that. What the fuck say? Actually, it's elves. I was going to say it's elves.

01:31:48 - 01:31:48 | Speaker 1:

Elves.

01:31:48 - 01:31:52 | Speaker 2:

But it's elves. It's like it was pronounced. We interviewed.

01:31:52 - 01:31:54 | Speaker 1:

He doesn't deserve to be remembered after that.

01:31:54 - 01:32:31 | Speaker 2:

He was elves, elves. But he said it kind of differently. So I'm giving him the point because you know what? He's from another country. The mere fact that you guys knew it, it was whatever. We're not pretty. Now I'm going to have that song stuck in my head. It's already stuck in my head. I know. Oh, look who's in here. Welcome Mike back to the studio. Great job breaking and entering Christmas wishes. Hi, Mike. Put your headphones on. I'll give you a little moment here. And while we have a moment, let me throw out a quick little sponsorship note here. This is like how you're watching football games and basketball games now. They all of a sudden have commercials. Time out on the field. They do commercials, like, in the middle of free throws at basketball games now. You ever see that? Yeah. A guy's shooting a free throw, and all of a sudden it's like, here's a commercial from Bad MGM.

01:32:32 - 01:32:37 | Speaker 1:

Well, honestly, what are you missing in basketball? You only need to watch the last two minutes of the game, and it's just back and forth. It's true.

01:32:37 - 01:33:00 | Speaker 2:

All right, Mike, you ready? You set? Yeah. Okay. Spikes on the board. Next song in the mojo in the morning. Throw back, throw down. Title and artist is... Oh, um, Mike, Mike, David, get a flow ride. A good feeling. It's close.

01:33:38 - 01:33:40 | Speaker 2:

Wait, did you scream at me? What did you say?

01:33:40 - 01:33:59 | Speaker 1:

I said Justin. Oh, who's Justin? I don't even know. That's not your name. Is that who I play for? Oh, yeah, we don't have him up on the air right now. Oh, I can hear him. Oh, you can hear him? Yeah, you can. Yeah, he's been talking to me the whole time. Oh. He was feeding the station.

01:33:59 - 01:34:23 | Speaker 2:

Now he can't talk. I shut him up. He's now in solitary confinement. Megan. Megan. Flo Rida. David Guetta. Sometimes I get a good feeling? No. Mike threw you off by saying David Guetta. It's just Flo Rida, good feeling. a good feeling yeah no no david get up i love when we get it in our head like yeah he's on

You're just saying Shannon you're the only one Drake you know No this is a rough week Drake headlines They know, they know Drake always does that. He always names a song. He drives me nuts. Something that has nothing to do with the song.

01:36:04 - 01:36:07 | Speaker 6:

He says they know a million times. Why not just call it they know?

01:36:07 - 01:36:27 | Speaker 2:

01:36:55 - 01:37:24 | Speaker 2:

It was up my nose. Question. Quick question. Not related to this. Where's Reese? Did Reese come back with you? Oh, there he is. Oh, there he is. Reese is there. Okay. All right. I was like, look around. I'm like, I think we lost Reese. We might have left Reese at the wish recipient's house. All right. You're back. All right. Good. Reese was great last night. It was so funny. He was like taking pictures of all of us. I'm like, no, hold on. Reese, now you get in the picture. He got so excited taking pictures with listeners last night. They love you, too.

01:46:17 - 01:46:24 | Speaker 2:

mojo i'll tell you what i was as shocked as anyone else when they had that vote yeah wait

01:46:24 - 01:46:30 | Speaker 1:

Isn't it interesting? I don't even know who number one and number two were, but you were the third. Isn't that unbelievable?

01:46:31 - 01:46:39 | Speaker 2:

No, very much so. My wife was the first one to say she couldn't believe it. That tells you right there.

01:46:39 - 01:46:50 | Speaker 1:

Can I also say this about you, too? The guys that came in first and second. Actually, I was looking on this one. What is it? The goofy guy from Bickerstaff or whatever.

01:46:51 - 01:46:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, Davey and Steve Clifford.

01:46:53 - 01:47:04 | Speaker 1:

And Steve, the guy from Charlotte? Charlotte, yeah. Okay. Both those guys are like younger dudes. You're 65 years old, man. I can't believe this.

01:47:05 - 01:47:07 | Speaker 2:

65 years young. That's right.

01:47:07 - 01:47:14 | Speaker 1:

I love that. Hey, congratulations to you, Coach, on a great win last night in overtime. That was amazing.

01:47:14 - 01:48:05 | Speaker 2:

It was another step in our growth. Guys are beginning to make steps in the right direction. We need as many games like that as we can to grow up. I think a game like that for Jaden Ivey and Darren are huge because it kind of reaffirms what we're talking about in practice, what we're talking about in film sessions, the intensity you have to play with in an overtime game. Every possession is important. It should be important anyway, but much more so in an overtime win, an overtime game. So we need as much experience in those type of games as we possibly can get. And plus, it was a big bounce back from the other nightmare that we had the other night, the schedule loss we had the other night against, you know, the other night by 30 points against New York.

01:48:05 - 01:49:07 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. So I want to talk about the wish here in a second. I'll get all the basketball stuff out of the way now because this is really cool, what we're going to be doing for kids in, you know, the Detroit area here. I really appreciate that Mojo dude I gotta tell you something coach I can't believe I just called you dude the guy's a hall of famer I call him dude I'm like his best friend when Anthony came to me Anthony our good friend from Imagine Theater came to me and he said hey Mojo I know you guys step up for people and I know you guys love kids but Coach Casey needs some help I'm like we're helping Coach Casey so before that Spike was complaining during the throwback throwdown this morning about the officiating that was going on here. One thing I noticed, I went to the game yesterday, I got to sit in front row seats. Coach Casey works the refs better than any other coaches. Most coaches sit there and call them stupid son of a bitches. Yeah, yeah. Coach Casey, like, whispers in their ear stuff. Is that what I was noticing when I saw you, like, when guys would make bad calls?

01:49:08 - 01:49:54 | Speaker 2:

It was funny because the female official, who is a up-and-coming young official, good official, mentioned she said Dwayne you don't have to yell at me and I said I'm okay I'm not gonna yell yeah I thought it was a travel during a very quiet voice and she looked at me like I'd lost my mind but she told me I was yelling at her so I I didn't want to do that officiating in the NBA is probably one of the toughest jobs there is in in in the world you know because the game is so fast you don't have you know timeouts between each possession that it's free you know back and forth back and forth yeah they're changing directions they're breathing hard and trying to concentrate at the same time they have two coaches yelling at them and 10 players oh every time a call is

01:49:54 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 1:

made in the nba every player complains like nobody's happy on that court nobody and

01:50:00 - 01:50:26 | Speaker 4:

And, you know, and then, too, I'm on the competition committee in the league. So I'm, you know, always telling them what we talked about in our meetings, you know, as far as, you know, rule interpretation, rule emphasis, and that type of thing. So it's a tough job, and especially if you're a young team, it's very difficult because, you know, it's a lot easier to make a call against Jaden Ivey versus Luka Doncic.

01:50:26 - 01:50:35 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah. Luka Doncic, by the way, I got to be like right up close and personal to him. He looks a little chubby. I was actually kind of surprised how thick he was.

01:50:36 - 01:50:44 | Speaker 4:

I'll tell you what, though. He's probably going to be one of the best players ever played in the league. I mean, the history of his game is going to be good.

01:50:44 - 01:50:47 | Speaker 2:

He can hit a shot like – he's like Steph. He can hit a shot from anywhere.

01:50:47 - 01:51:33 | Speaker 4:

Exactly. From anywhere. Down low. Even versus Steph, he's still strong enough and big enough to take you down low. and put you in the basket versus Steph. But his range is just as deep, just as easy. And the other great thing about his game is he's a great passer and a willing passer for a superstar. And so that makes him that much more dangerous as far as a player is concerned. Because we had to trap him down the stretch on every possession. But he was making great decisions and attacking our traps. So, but he kept them off rhythm, out of rhythm of him, you know, knocking down three. So, it was a good defensive scheme for us going down the stretch.

01:51:33 - 01:51:47 | Speaker 2:

All right. So, let me get to the breaking and entering Christmas wish part. We have Coach Dwayne Casey on with us right from the Detroit Pistons. So, Coach Casey and his beautiful wife have a foundation. It's called the Coach Casey Foundation, right? The Coach Dwayne Casey Foundation?

01:51:47 - 01:51:47 | Speaker 4:

Yep.

01:51:48 - 01:51:54 | Speaker 2:

By the way, original. I mean, what a great name. I mean, you might as well name an app for yourself, right?

01:51:55 - 01:52:01 | Speaker 3:

You know, you thought you were calling in to do a nice thing, and instead you just get made fun of. It's pretty standard.

01:52:01 - 01:52:15 | Speaker 2:

No, no, no. So Coach Casey, so Anthony calls me up, and he's telling me about how Coach Casey and his wife are wanting to buy a 17-passenger van. You know one of those church vans?

01:52:15 - 01:52:15 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

01:52:15 - 01:52:24 | Speaker 2:

They want to buy it to help take kids, children, to visit their moms and dads who are incarcerated in prison.

01:52:24 - 01:52:25 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Okay?

01:52:25 - 01:52:41 | Speaker 2:

There are so many kids. I read the percentage the other day that the odds of a child who grows up in the city of Detroit, you have like a one in four chance of having your parent or at least one parent or guardian behind bars at some time in your lifetime. It's a tragedy.

01:52:41 - 01:52:46 | Speaker 3:

Now, how are they currently making that happen? Or is there no way of getting it? Do they have to figure that out?

01:52:46 - 01:53:02 | Speaker 4:

There's no official transportation that they have right now. Okay. That's why this is so important. Okay. And Anthony Verde, he's the best. And our other friend, Bruce Smith, we only have two friends in the city right now. Especially when you lose them, you don't have that many friends.

01:53:04 - 01:53:07 | Speaker 1:

Bruce from DMS Detroit. What a great guy.

01:53:08 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 4:

Great. Yeah, Bruce Smith and Anthony. Anthony's the best. And, you know, when you tell Anthony to go get something done and help you, it's like, you know, yesterday when he's on it. So he's done a great job, and we appreciate that, and we appreciate you, Mojo, for being involved. Because right now there's 40% of kids in the city of Detroit that have one or two parent incarcerated, and that's a sad statistic. But it's not the kid's fault. It's not the kid's fault. Pure Heart Foundation, guys, you know, is a foundation that helps kids. Sherelle Hogan, she's the CEO of it, but it takes a holistic approach of helping kids with parents incarcerated because you can imagine the stigma, the feeling that those kids have, you know, that they don't have one parent at home, that one parent's in jail. One young man, you know, did a video talking about how it was the best day of his life just coming to our practice. And they had a video of him talking to his father, incarcerated, and it brought tears to my eyes. But it's a holistic approach of helping those young kids, you know, break the cycle, whether it's education, health, mental health, just anything they can do to help the kids break that cycle. and they have a 100% graduation rate to 2015. And the work that Sherelle and her staff, what they do for those kids is unbelievable. And it just breaks your heart to see, you know, just imagine how much work it is for the community, aunts, uncles, cousins that they're living with to help them. But this provides a place for those kids to go to a safe place for a holistic approach to help them.

01:55:00 - 01:55:14 | Speaker 2:

that cycle so mojo in the mornings breaking entering christmas wish along with dms detroit and the duane casey foundation are buying a van to take these kids to and from so that they can

01:55:14 - 01:55:45 | Speaker 3:

go see their parents so thank you thank you mojo and and and what you know you're helping us and being a part of it and it will mean so much just for these kids to be able to go uh because like i tell the kids always my wife gives me a hard time because i say it all the time well there's their circumstances don't shouldn't dictate who these kids are whatever we can do to help them break the cycle uh what their mom and dad you know did or made a mistake doesn't make them a mistake

01:55:45 - 01:56:04 | Speaker 1:

well you appreciate you coach the deck is stacked against these kids and you're really helping because and it and the whole season of giving i see the pistons out there you know fighting absenteeism in school and the players are out delivering coats and gloves to the schools in the area and you're really starting from that ground level of making a difference because it

01:56:04 - 01:56:14 | Speaker 2:

makes the make a difference starts in the homes you know the average age of a pistons player right now is like 21 years old right isn't it something like that wow really we're the we're the i think

01:56:14 - 01:57:17 | Speaker 3:

either one or number two i know casey the youngest team in the league it's amazing and guys that's what's so important people forget i mean somebody you know casey you suck but they forget that we're in the business of not only developing nba players we're in the business developing young men and for for us to give them an example of going into the community working with working with other kids to see the look on these kids face and we'll bring the kids from the pure heart foundation you know to meet the players and to see their faces light up and for a lot of these kids it's a highlight of their life and but also too it it humbles our players it shows them the fact that who you know gives them an opportunity to to give back to the kids to to humble them and also too it's funny because it wasn't too long ago when they were those little kids yes NBA players NFL players, baseball, whatever. Full circle. Coach, I don't know

01:57:17 - 01:57:22 | Speaker 2:

who's the shortest player that's ever played for you, but I think I might find... Who is it?

01:57:23 - 01:57:25 | Speaker 3:

J.J. Barea in Dallas. Oh my god, J.J. Barea.

01:57:25 - 01:57:27 | Speaker 2:

I forgot about that. J.J. Barea, how tall was he?

01:57:28 - 01:57:42 | Speaker 3:

He's every bit of 5'10". My wife teased me all the time because I would come home after practice, we're never going to win an NBA championship with a point guard that's 5'10". And lo and behold, J.J. helped us win a championship in the Dallas.

01:57:42 - 01:58:01 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, isn't that amazing? I got a shorter guy than that. Mike from our show. Mike from our show is how tall are you, Mike? Five, six-ish. Five, six. Five, six. And if you could see this guy's handles and his three-point shot, I'm telling you, Coach, you would sign him up for the team. You'd at least put him on the G League team.

01:58:02 - 01:58:07 | Speaker 3:

Well, at least we can definitely give him a look, Mike. You will give him a look, Mike.

01:58:07 - 01:58:09 | Speaker 2:

If somebody wants to give me a lift up, too, I can dunk.

01:58:09 - 01:58:12 | Speaker 3:

That makes disqualify

01:58:12 - 01:58:26 | Speaker 2:

Coach Dwayne Casey This is the first time I've had an opportunity To have you on the show And first opportunity I've ever gotten to meet you And I'm going to say this to you You are awesome I might have been one of those fans screaming

01:58:26 - 01:58:49 | Speaker 3:

Fire this guy But it's like I tell the players You can't listen to the noise Because if you listen to the noise You'll be sitting with them in the stands Pretty soon if you listen to everything And I've been in it so long, Mojo. That kind of stuff really motivates me to work hard and try to be a leader for these young men. But it does.

01:58:49 - 01:59:12 | Speaker 2:

I'm your new biggest fan. I love this guy. He's motivating, man. I love you. And I love your heart. And your wife is awesome, too. You guys are a great family. Thank you for being here. We need to keep you guys in Detroit. And we need to get this team to where you got the Mavs and the Toronto Raptors. Thank you. I'll see you tomorrow. We're going to actually get the keys to the vehicle tomorrow, so we're going to actually have some fun tomorrow.

01:59:12 - 01:59:18 | Speaker 3:

That would be great. All right? I'm so excited and so appreciative, Mojo, and look forward to seeing you tomorrow. God bless you, buddy.

01:59:18 - 01:59:26 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. Thank you for what you're doing for the children of Detroit. You truly do care. Thank you. I appreciate that, and thank you. Coach Dwayne Casey.

01:59:27 - 01:59:32 | Speaker 3:

Ladies and gentlemen, you're listening to the amazing Mojo!

01:59:34 - 01:59:36 | Speaker 2:

Isn't that unbelievable? It's awesome. Oh, my God.

01:59:36 - 01:59:40 | Speaker 3:

He's great. I love that if you listen, you'll be sitting with them. I love that.

01:59:41 - 01:59:41 | Speaker 2:

Right?

01:59:41 - 01:59:43 | Speaker 3:

That was really good. Yeah.

01:59:43 - 01:59:49 | Speaker 2:

You know what's funny is that sometimes you don't get that off of like a sports report at night, you know?

01:59:49 - 01:59:54 | Speaker 1:

Jeez, come on. And they look at you, and they don't know what to do. Right. You don't need to be alone.

01:59:54 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 2:

You know what? That actually is interesting. I never thought of doing something like that. Leave it to you.

02:00:00 - 02:00:09 | Speaker 3:

Thank you for the call. With how many there are and how long they last, it must sell stuff, right? Right. It must work. Just like that last call, what do you do, Ashley, to keep the kiosk person away?

02:00:11 - 02:00:16 | Speaker 4:

I just tell them, I don't speak English. And they just look at me like, did you just say that in English?

02:00:16 - 02:00:17 | Speaker 2:

I was just going to say.

02:00:19 - 02:00:32 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Don't worry. The last 80 customers said the same thing. They're not buying it. That's hysterical. They're like, well, I do. Let me tell you how fried and horrible your hair looks. You destroyed it. And they'll just completely cut you down and ruin your self-esteem.

02:00:32 - 02:00:40 | Speaker 3:

That's the other thing, too. I've never known, and I don't know if you have, Ashley, anybody that actually has let them straighten their hair. Did you look better afterwards?

02:00:40 - 02:00:41 | Speaker 2:

No.

02:00:41 - 02:00:44 | Speaker 3:

My hair was already straight to begin with. I was like, what did you do?

02:00:44 - 02:00:48 | Speaker 2:

I know. I always say that. I'm like, look at my hair. It could not be straighter, unfortunately.

02:00:49 - 02:00:49 | Speaker 1:

You did?

02:00:49 - 02:00:58 | Speaker 2:

I did it once. I didn't mean to. I was young. They scared me. I sat down. They only did half of my head, and I had curly hair, and they wouldn't do the other half. Oh, my God.

02:00:58 - 02:01:00 | Speaker 4:

Oh, unless you buy it, right?

02:01:00 - 02:01:15 | Speaker 3:

All right. It's Mojo in the Morning Show. I do have to take a break. I apologize. But, yes, we do have to get paid, and it is the holidays. We'll be right back with more Mojo in the Morning. Don't go anywhere. We still got, like, more than an hour and a half of the show now.

02:01:16 - 02:01:20 | Speaker 1:

It's Christmas. If I send Christmas cards, you'd totally be on my list.

02:01:20 - 02:01:23 | Speaker 2:

Merry Christmas from Mojo in the Morning.

02:01:24 - 02:01:38 | Speaker 1:

WKQ-IFM HD2 and HD3 Detroit. WSNX, Muskegon, Grand Rapids WVKS, Toledo Three great stations One stupid show This is Mojo in the Morning Live

02:01:38 - 02:01:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's the wrong music, sorry I just quickly grabbed a whatever song That's St. Patrick's Day music And that's probably not the right one

02:01:55 - 02:01:58 | Speaker 4:

It's like a discount Manheim steamroller. Right.

02:01:58 - 02:02:01 | Speaker 2:

I was going to say, it kind of sounded like the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

02:02:02 - 02:02:03 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah, that's true. Yeah.

02:02:04 - 02:02:11 | Speaker 3:

Who's better? Let's start a battle right now. Manheim steamroller or Trans-Siberian Orchestra, go. Trying to torture me?

02:02:12 - 02:02:15 | Speaker 4:

Pentatonix. No, get out of here, you garbage.

02:02:15 - 02:02:18 | Speaker 3:

By the way, we're not doing this. We're not doing this. What, Megan? We'll go on.

02:02:18 - 02:02:22 | Speaker 4:

I love Pentatonix. Thank you. They're so good. It's wrong. The TSO is in Toledo.

02:02:22 - 02:02:33 | Speaker 3:

Do you know who is the biggest Trans-Siberian Orchestra fan in the world? Scott Sands. And you'll never, no, no. More shocking than Scott Sands.

02:02:33 - 02:02:35 | Speaker 4:

Somebody always gets excited. I'm trying to remember who it was.

02:02:35 - 02:02:37 | Speaker 3:

They go to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and they've actually gone.

02:02:37 - 02:02:38 | Speaker 4:

Is it J.E.?

02:02:38 - 02:02:48 | Speaker 3:

They've gone to a Trans-Siberian Orchestra. J.E. is a good guest, a good friend. The listeners don't know who J.E. is, but no. Jeff Sackle. Everybody knows him. No. No, everybody knows him. Works in the building with us.

02:02:48 - 02:02:48 | Speaker 4:

Tony Travato.

02:02:48 - 02:03:21 | Speaker 3:

Tony Travato has gone to a Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert by himself. Really? By himself? Yes, not because he was going to do record radio stuff. He was going there because he's a fan. I heard that once. I was like, our boss, Tony Travato, used to be to me one of the coolest guys in the world. No offense, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, but the guy, people think that Tony is much older than he is. I think Tony went when he was like 30 or something like that. Because Tony's only like, what is Tony, 40-something? 42, 43, 44, something like that?

02:03:21 - 02:03:22 | Speaker 2:

I think he's 42.

02:03:22 - 02:03:22 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:03:23 - 02:03:29 | Speaker 2:

I'm guessing Tony, don't hate me if that's really wrong. I genuinely thought he was 34 when I started.

02:03:29 - 02:03:30 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that funny?

02:03:30 - 02:03:31 | Speaker 2:

It's crazy.

02:03:31 - 02:03:45 | Speaker 3:

The other thing, too, he worked all day at the station because he's getting ready for Jingle Ball, and he showed up at our event. He lives in Milford, and he showed up to Southgate for like the last 20 minutes just because he wanted to support us. I think that was my best. It was craziness.

02:03:45 - 02:03:48 | Speaker 4:

You're saying that so I don't make fun of him for the Trans-Siberian.

02:03:48 - 02:03:54 | Speaker 3:

That's right. By the way, we raised $31,000 last night.

02:03:54 - 02:03:55 | Speaker 2:

How great is that?

02:03:55 - 02:03:59 | Speaker 3:

Red, Red Robin. So thank you to Brian and the entire staff at Red Robin.

02:03:59 - 02:04:12 | Speaker 2:

Also, thank you to everybody, all of the listeners who came out and were willing to share your food with us. Anytime I looked at someone's plate and was like, wow, that onion ring tower looks really good, they're like, have one. Or like, have a bite of this. Or have a fried pickle. Or have a bite of my cheeseburger. I'm like, okay.

02:04:13 - 02:04:20 | Speaker 3:

People were really kind. Like, kind. It was nice. And you joke saying, oh, can I have a bite of the thing? And the next thing you know, they're like splitting it.

02:04:20 - 02:04:21 | Speaker 2:

No, seriously, take one.

02:04:21 - 02:04:23 | Speaker 3:

They're like cutting it in half and asking for a side plate.

02:04:23 - 02:04:28 | Speaker 2:

There was one girl who had like a mudside cake. And I was like, ooh, that looks really good.

02:04:28 - 02:04:30 | Speaker 3:

And she was like, well, you can't have a bite. I'm like, okay.

02:04:31 - 02:04:32 | Speaker 2:

You're the only one.

02:04:32 - 02:04:35 | Speaker 3:

Your favorite teacher was there last night too.

02:04:36 - 02:04:39 | Speaker 2:

Yes, Miss Kelly. Hi, Kels, from Warrendale Charter Academy.

02:04:39 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 3:

Sweet lady. She's the best. And two of the listeners that were there are maybe our longest listening listeners that were there. One was she's in our Instagram photo. She's like the nicest lady ever. She comes out to every event. She came out to the first event that this show ever did way back when. And she's.

02:05:00 - 02:05:05 | Speaker 2:

on out almost every single year, and she writes us a check for Breaking Night and Christmas and sends us a Christmas card every year.

02:05:06 - 02:05:11 | Speaker 4:

Is it Joanne? Yes. You're talking about Joanne. She's the nicest lady ever. Joanne's from Lincoln Park. She's the best. Yeah, she's sweet. We love her.

02:05:11 - 02:05:25 | Speaker 2:

And then our, you know, just the normal crazies that are there. Our normal Mojo in the Morning misfits that just were hanging out with us. If you want to hang out with the show and you didn't get a chance to hang out, Spike has got a great event happening today. A pub

02:05:25 - 02:06:32 | Speaker 1:

crawl, right? I woke up this morning so excited for three different reasons. One, it was a friday and i know we have a weekend coming too it's candle day at bath and body works i'm so excited oh my gosh 995 for all three wick candles today i had this on my calendar for three months and number three the third reason i'm so excited i'm hosting this is the third annual spikes santa hat pub crawl through downtown plymouth tonight all the people that say they want to drink with me all the time you hear me i do these pub crawls all the time i say come join me come hang out They don't believe me, but if I'm in your neighborhood, roll on through. I'll buy you a drink. We're going to be hanging out in Plymouth tonight with eight different bars. So I've got to get started right after the show. I'm going to go over at 5 o'clock I'm starting. So if you can meet me after work, we're going to kick things off at Herman's Old Town Grill. If you meet me there at 5, I'll give you the free Santa hat from Mojo in the Morning. And we're going to just go drinking through downtown Plymouth all night tonight. I mean, there's eight different pubs. We're going to have a blast. Thank you, Stella, for supporting this, Stella Artois. And we're going to hang out starting at 5. So come down to meet me at Herman's Old Town Grill, and we'll roll from there.

02:06:33 - 02:06:35 | Speaker 2:

Megan, where are you this weekend in Toledo?

02:06:36 - 02:06:51 | Speaker 4:

So tomorrow we have our toy-a-thon at the Franklin Park Mall in the food court. We are going to be out there from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. We are collecting new unwrapped toys for kids here in Lucas County, and it's going to be fun. I'm very excited.

02:06:51 - 02:06:53 | Speaker 2:

We should have known it was candle.

02:06:53 - 02:07:04 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, because we always are in the mall for the toy-a-thon on Candle Day. And then I end up, it's the only time Mojo sees me show up early for an event. Because I get in the line behind the ropes at Bath and Body Works.

02:07:04 - 02:07:06 | Speaker 4:

Actually, yeah. Tomorrow's about to be expensive.

02:07:08 - 02:07:11 | Speaker 2:

Do you guys have anything else? Anybody else have anything going on?

02:07:11 - 02:07:18 | Speaker 3:

I will be on the couch making fun of Spike, who was making fun of people for Trans-Siberian Orchestra for the candles. That's what I'll be doing.

02:07:19 - 02:07:28 | Speaker 2:

How great, by the way, another thing, too. How great was it that the Red Robin people made us all a shirt and we all got to wear staff shirts?

02:07:28 - 02:07:29 | Speaker 4:

What are their names on them? It was so great.

02:07:29 - 02:07:50 | Speaker 2:

It was so cool to put that shirt on and to be able to be actually an official staff member. And the other time that I got so excited was when I did a Starbucks thing where I got to work behind the counter at a Starbucks and they gave me a Starbucks apron with my name on it and stuff. Okay, that's cool. And so I was like, I'm like, cool, I got it. Now all I need, let's see what I got. McDonald's, I'd like a McDonald's uniform.

02:07:50 - 02:08:13 | Speaker 1:

i like you know well i go through them is it liz the manager at red robin she stayed up till like midnight making those shirts on her cricket machines i call her savannah guthrie because she looks like savannah guthrie from she she was so nice but she stayed up because she wanted to customize the red robin shirts for us and i don't know if that's just to promote the show or if it was more to let the customers know we're not the usual server so if we're messing up some people

02:08:13 - 02:08:23 | Speaker 2:

were upset that we uh were not actually waiting the tables because the problem was everybody wanted to say hi and take pictures and stuff so waiting at tables we wouldn't have added time to

02:08:23 - 02:08:27 | Speaker 1:

spend time with you plus i want you to get your food hot and not me drop it on the floor oh there

02:08:27 - 02:08:41 | Speaker 2:

were a couple there were a couple tables that were like really upset i think they really wanted us i felt like honestly i worked harder yesterday just walking around because there's so many tables so many people than i ever do on this show here you know sitting in in the studio here just

02:08:41 - 02:08:45 | Speaker 3:

chatting but i wore my non-slip shoes because i thought i was going to be back there in the

02:08:45 - 02:08:47 | Speaker 2:

kitchen. You have non-slip

02:08:47 - 02:08:49 | Speaker 3:

shoes? She does live

02:08:49 - 02:09:01 | Speaker 2:

in a senior citizen community. KB, that is fantastic. By the way, your grandma and grandpa didn't make it with you. They did. I met them. I didn't see them. Mike and I went over and said

02:09:01 - 02:09:06 | Speaker 4:

Oh, they were there? Why did you not introduce us to your grandparents? And they were with their friends, Don and Donna.

02:09:07 - 02:09:15 | Speaker 2:

Oh my God. Wait, I got a text that said they were with you, Mojo. I guess they didn't meet you. Wait a second. Hold on. That was your grandparents? I mean, I don't know

02:09:15 - 02:09:17 | Speaker 3:

They were on a double date

02:09:17 - 02:09:33 | Speaker 2:

I met Don and Donna, they're friends Because I actually joked about their names Oh my gosh, why didn't you introduce us? Why didn't you introduce us? When they came up to me and started talking to me They were like, hey, how you doing? They were being really cool And I'm like, how do I know these people? I didn't realize that was KP's grandparents

02:09:33 - 02:09:36 | Speaker 3:

It says a lot about the rest of the show That only Shannon and I got introduced

02:09:36 - 02:09:41 | Speaker 1:

That's what I'm realizing She knew we were going to ask embarrassing questions for the show

02:09:41 - 02:09:57 | Speaker 4:

These are my favorites and I'm only going to have you guys with them. Wow, Megan, how does that make you feel? I took KP over to meet my dad, so now I'm very upset with KP. Which, by the way, bad idea. He's looking good. I know. Shannon, stay away from my father.

02:09:57 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 2:

Do you know what's crazy about...

02:10:00 - 02:10:31 | Speaker 4:

So this shows you, like, our listening area is so vast because we're all the way from West Michigan all the way through to Toledo, so northwest Ohio. And to go to this location, it was in Downriver. It was in Southgate. It took me, like, an hour and 15 minutes to get there. It took KP from Auburn Hills almost two hours to get there. Mike, it took you how long? Two hours to the hotel and then 45 minutes to. So basically, yeah, almost three hours to get there. Finally, we had an event close for Megan.

02:10:31 - 02:10:36 | Speaker 2:

I was going to say, I got there the fastest. That was crazy. I had like a 40-minute commute.

02:10:36 - 02:10:39 | Speaker 4:

She was first one there. She was sitting in the parking lot. It literally was the fastest for you.

02:10:39 - 02:10:45 | Speaker 2:

I know. I know. And that never happens. So everybody who is like, come to Chile. I was like, we were closer than everybody else.

02:10:46 - 02:11:00 | Speaker 4:

Thank you ever again to everybody. So we appreciate it. All right, Mojo in the morning show. Spike has officially become his mom. And this, by the way, makes me so happy. Because you've made fun of your mom for years on this show.

02:11:00 - 02:11:21 | Speaker 3:

There's been a long history of me making fun of my mom, and rightfully so. Because, listen, we grew up, we didn't have money growing up. So I am sensitive to the fact my parents did what they could with four kids. And we had a childhood. It wasn't the best childhood. You've heard me talk about I never had toys to unwrap on Christmas. And I got all the hand-me-downs from my two older brothers.

02:11:22 - 02:11:30 | Speaker 4:

By the way, when you tell that story on here, your mom always comes to me when she comes to visit and says, You know he's full of crap. He always had this stuff.

02:11:30 - 02:11:59 | Speaker 3:

Well, of course, when you get old, you're trying to alter history and trying to change the storyline of the family. But it's true. I've talked many times about how my mom would take all the McDonald's straws home and she would wash them out, reuse them over and over and over again. And if we wanted a straw in our drink, she wouldn't have enough. She would cut them in half so the family would have twice as many straws. and then, of course, they would fall down into the glass, thus completely—

02:11:59 - 02:12:00 | Speaker 4:

Wait, they were little straws?

02:12:00 - 02:12:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so obsolete. The reason for the straw is to not get, you know— You'd have to hold it with your drink right there. Anyway, that's just one of many examples I've talked about. It was a cocktail straw.

02:12:11 - 02:12:12 | Speaker 4:

McDonald's straws turned into cocktail straws.

02:12:12 - 02:12:30 | Speaker 3:

I've told many stories about the frugalness, which is a nice way of saying my parents were cheap. But now my girlfriend yesterday caught me in the act of momhood doing the same thing. Meg caught me washing out a Ziploc bag to reuse it.

02:12:30 - 02:12:31 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh.

02:12:31 - 02:13:03 | Speaker 3:

Rinsing it out in this thing. She's like, what are you doing? Now, in my defense, it just held some pretzels, so it wasn't dirty. I was just getting the little salt things out of the bottom because it had pretzels in it. And here's the big difference. I'm going to reuse the Ziploc bag. I wouldn't make my kids reuse a bag. So it was just for me. So, well, maybe I would if they didn't know it was used. The point is I would never do that to my children I would never let them know I'm reusing The Ziploc bag So I don't think I'm exactly like my mother

02:13:03 - 02:13:10 | Speaker 4:

Stop for one second Are you hurting right now? Is the times hurting for you? I get it Inflation is crazy

02:13:10 - 02:13:20 | Speaker 3:

I'm always watching Listen, you can reuse a lot of things, Mojo I know you're not the type of guy To ever bring your own grocery bags No, I'm worried about the environment

02:13:20 - 02:13:23 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so this is not about cheap

02:13:23 - 02:13:25 | Speaker 3:

I'm not cheap. It's climate change.

02:13:26 - 02:13:43 | Speaker 1:

My friends in my family especially roast me every birthday or holiday because I reuse wrapping paper. And it is a thing in my house that I have a Rubbermaid container with used wrapping paper in it because it's such a waste.

02:13:43 - 02:13:44 | Speaker 4:

How do you do that if it's ripped apart?

02:13:45 - 02:13:57 | Speaker 1:

I don't rip it apart. When somebody gives me a gift, I just open it very carefully. And if it's really cool wrapping paper I will save it and reuse it And rewrap a gift I do the same with bows by the way So if you put a bow on a gift for me

02:13:57 - 02:13:59 | Speaker 4:

And my dad taught me that

02:13:59 - 02:14:04 | Speaker 1:

I have a whole bin of Bows and ribbon that I reuse

02:14:04 - 02:14:07 | Speaker 4:

What if it doesn't match the theme of what you're doing

02:14:07 - 02:14:09 | Speaker 1:

But you don't understand how many I have

02:14:09 - 02:14:21 | Speaker 3:

Oh you got every holiday I'll reuse a bow And you think about the journey that poor little bow Took from China just to look pretty over here On a gift and then it's only for five seconds It gets to shine, and then you're going to throw it away? No, I'm going to reuse it.

02:14:21 - 02:14:41 | Speaker 4:

Who's cheaper? Who's cheaper than Spike's mom, Spike, and Shannon? I want you to call us up at 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. You can either call that person out or call yourself out and tell us what exactly that you do. Go back again. I was setting up a song and stuff here. What exactly was in that Ziploc bag to begin with? Just pretzels. So it's just pretzels.

02:14:42 - 02:14:50 | Speaker 3:

Hard pretzels. So there was no slime or chocolate or mac and cheese. It wasn't something that was going to be gross in there. Not horrible. I was just getting the salt crumbs out.

02:14:50 - 02:14:57 | Speaker 4:

Do you think, though, that next time that you put something in that bag, that your kids are going to be like you, tasting the soap from the straw like you did?

02:14:57 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 3:

No, because if you don't know, you don't realize.

02:15:00 - 02:15:27 | Speaker 7:

your mom could have said the same thing yeah but she would she i knew she would tell me to reuse them like she would she would make me wash them out and then i had to go to school and shame with my ziploc bag which by the way always had the off-brand snacks and if at all because she was cheap yeah but i found the one football player the linebacker that would buy my lunch that my mom made and then i would use that to buy the school lunch which was way better laurie yeah

02:15:27 - 02:15:28 | Speaker 6:

Who's cheaper, Lori?

02:15:30 - 02:15:35 | Speaker 3:

Oh, it isn't about being cheap. He's being smart. He's being environmental, and I appreciate it.

02:15:35 - 02:15:35 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

02:15:36 - 02:15:37 | Speaker 3:

And I also...

02:15:37 - 02:15:42 | Speaker 7:

Think about the turtles that aren't choking on the Ziploc. You know he's not doing it for that, Lori. He's doing it because it's cheap.

02:15:42 - 02:15:52 | Speaker 3:

It doesn't matter why. It doesn't matter why. All right. We have to compliment Shannon because only about 10 years ago did I start using wrapping paper again. I used to use old newspapers.

02:15:52 - 02:15:58 | Speaker 2:

My dad used to do comics from the newspaper, and I loved that. Wow. I loved that he did that.

02:15:58 - 02:16:00 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I loved how all the ink got on your fingertips at Christmas.

02:16:01 - 02:16:04 | Speaker 3:

It's okay. You can use water to wash the ink off.

02:16:06 - 02:16:07 | Speaker 6:

Nick, what's going on?

02:16:08 - 02:16:34 | Speaker 5:

Hey, guys. Good morning. I'm so frugal. I got a good one for you. When I go on vacation with my family, we'll buy some Popslake Sprite and whatnot up here. And since there's a bottle deposit in Michigan, when we go down to Florida, no bottle deposit. So my dad will save the wrapper on these Sprite and Coke bottles, bring them back home, and put them on Kirkland water bottles and take them to the bottles.

02:16:34 - 02:16:35 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

02:16:36 - 02:16:57 | Speaker 7:

Does that work? Commitment. It works. It works. Commitment. Is that legal? Well, no, not really. But I'm all for it because I'm mad that the state of Michigan still does not recycle, return the plastic water bottles. They let all these water companies come in Bottle our water, sell it back to us And then they don't even give us The money back on all the horrible plastics

02:16:57 - 02:17:02 | Speaker 5:

Like when it comes to my dad I don't even think it's about the recycling I think it's about the 10 cents

02:17:02 - 02:17:18 | Speaker 7:

I always do the returnables My friends come over to watch a Michigan game And they're like They start to throw out the cans I'm like no, no, no, that goes here in the special bag I have Because we drink a lot of beer That's like $37 when I go back to Kroger And return those

02:17:18 - 02:17:20 | Speaker 6:

What's the most you've ever gotten in recyclable?

02:17:20 - 02:17:33 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my gosh. After the St. Patrick's Day party, $180 in returnable. So that's what? That's amazing. 1,800 cans and bottles. Now, that was not just the party. That was saved up since probably the holidays, three months.

02:17:34 - 02:17:34 | Speaker 6:

Cindy, what's up?

02:17:36 - 02:17:39 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I want to call out my husband for being the cheapest.

02:17:39 - 02:17:39 | Speaker 6:

Okay.

02:17:40 - 02:17:48 | Speaker 4:

He went and bought me an 87-cent chocolate bar the other day and told me I had to pay him for it before I could eat it.

02:17:50 - 02:17:53 | Speaker 6:

What does an 87-cent chocolate bar taste like?

02:17:55 - 02:17:57 | Speaker 4:

It was good, but I was pissed.

02:17:57 - 02:18:00 | Speaker 5:

It tastes like the inside of a rewashed plastic bag.

02:18:02 - 02:18:10 | Speaker 6:

Exactly. Thank you for the call. Have a great weekend, okay? Did you guys know that a boy bought Megan Flowers last night?

02:18:10 - 02:18:22 | Speaker 7:

I watched this happen, but I didn't want to interrupt the conversation, but it looked very flirty from what I could see. What was happening when we walked in that restaurant and that guy was already waiting for you with flowers?

02:18:22 - 02:19:28 | Speaker 1:

Well, it's me, so we all know that it wasn't very flirty. It was probably awkward trying to flirt. But we had a really nice guy. I believe his name was John. Yep. Brought me some flowers and was so sweet and came out to our event at Red Robin just to say hi and be nice. He knew that yesterday I didn't have the best day. Last night at Red Robin was actually, like, really great for my mental health because I had a pretty crap day before we got there. And I'm going to be really honest, sometimes when we go to these events, right, you've got to put on your face, like, today isn't the day that I really want to go out here or do anything. Like, I just want to get into bed and eat a pint of ice cream, maybe cry a little bit, watch a comfort movie and go to sleep. But instead, we went out, and I was greeted by him, and he was so nice and completely turned my day around. Except for right afterwards, we got swamped with so many people. So many people showed up to hang out with us that I didn't really get to spend much time with him afterwards. But I think Shannon did.

02:19:29 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 2:

I did. Oh, really? Wait a second. I did, and he, his name is John. You're right. He was so nervous around you. So this is what we talked about the whole time. It was Megan. And he's like, I don't know. And I was like, why don't you ask her out? And he's like, well, I just, I don't really know what I'm doing. And I don't know how to do this. And he told me about the flowers. And I was like, okay, okay, that's good, that's good. And he goes, we did take a picture together. And I'm thinking about sending it to her on Instagram. And I said, that's perfect. Send it to her on Instagram.

02:20:00 - 02:20:26 | Speaker 3:

just say it was really nice to meet you and just like kind of you know ease in he was so sweet megan and he just thinks that you are like everything why did we get his phone number well no because i told him to dm her oh wow and did he he said he did oh he said he did last night when i talked to him that's why i'm asking because you know megan won't see it for four months

02:20:26 - 02:20:43 | Speaker 2:

I stick out, hold on Megan says I don't stick out for How dare you How dare you And now Mojo Dip the music and let her read it live on the air Oh go ahead Oh my god he did message me

02:20:43 - 02:20:55 | Speaker 1:

I told you He said this Last night Oh he's DM'd me a lot I feel bad It was in a weird folder

02:20:55 - 02:21:02 | Speaker 3:

I had to go like this poor guy thought he's being rejected and ignored. There's that one folder. I never check. I never check

02:21:03 - 02:21:16 | Speaker 1:

Everyone's in a great. Well, I'll go through there, right? Um, oh, he invited me out to something before. I'm sorry Photo from last night, and then he sent me a message this morning. That's a good morning, beautiful

02:21:16 - 02:21:22 | Speaker 3:

Did you see the flowers he brought her?

02:21:22 - 02:21:45 | Speaker 2:

By the way, I changed my bet. I said that it was going to be Spike and his girlfriend, Megan, getting married before Shannon and Wes. It's Megan that's going to get married before. I love Megan. Megan, Megan, Megan. Mmm, Megan. Megan, Megan, Megan, Megan. I don't know what that was, but I did not like that.

02:21:45 - 02:21:48 | Speaker 3:

I don't know if we have time because we have a busy schedule here this morning,

02:21:48 - 02:23:53 | Speaker 2:

but he did just send a phone number if we want to call him. Let's call him next. We're calling him next. We're going to check in with him. Get ready. Get ready. Stay right there, Megan. Don't get up. We will be right back with more of the Megan Love Affair. Will it go to the next level? Next. Megan, she's the best person ever. She's the greatest radio talent of all time. But we did a wish this morning for sweet little Sebastian. He is from Hamtramck, Michigan. His mom, Alex, was diagnosed with cancer and is going through cancer treatments. And we ended up this morning granting a wish for him and his family, and it's beautiful. But we would not have been able to do this thing if it wasn't for the help of our good friends that are coming in studio here, Mark, Chris, and Amy. They are from, what is it, Motor City, what is it called? Motor City Pawn Brokers, right? Motor City Pawn Brokers, that's right. You guys are in Detroit, Warren, Roseville, Ferndale, and soon to open up in 2023 in Hamtramck. What's up, guys? How are you? Good morning. These good-looking guys.

02:23:54 - 02:23:54 | Speaker 4:

Thanks for having us.

02:23:54 - 02:24:16 | Speaker 2:

Hold on a second. I got some things to pawn here. We'll start with one of you guys. Anything in this building because we don't want it anymore, all this equipment. That's true. Yeah, is there any value at all in a microphone that was talked into by, who was it? Oh, everybody's been- Lil Uzi. Lil Uzi talked into this microphone. You want to talk? We appreciate you guys. Did you hear this morning's wish? Did you get a chance to listen to it?

02:24:16 - 02:24:16 | Speaker 4:

We did, yes.

02:24:17 - 02:24:18 | Speaker 2:

Isn't that amazing what you did for that family?

02:24:18 - 02:24:24 | Speaker 4:

It's amazing what you guys did as well. We appreciate the opportunity. Couldn't do it without you guys, though. Yeah, thank you very much. Thanks for having me.

02:24:24 - 02:24:50 | Speaker 2:

We needed extra cash to be able to go a step further with all the stuff because we did so much stuff with them. And when Lee came to us and said, hey, we got a company that's in Hamtramck that I know of or opening in Hamtramck, this might be a good little tie in to to put you guys together. And man, oh, man, I'm telling you, you don't understand what what your business and all the great success you guys have has have had did for this family.

02:24:50 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, we appreciate the opportunity. And that's, you know, that's what it's all about to give back to the communities that we serve. And we're glad it's in Hamtramck and that we serve as well. So thank you guys.

02:25:00 - 02:25:14 | Speaker 5:

Well, you're a good example. Obviously, it's good karma to make sure you're putting money back into the community, but also it's contagious. We love people like you who are willing to step forward, write that check without asking questions, because hopefully other people are listening and say, God, I know I feel stupid. Maybe I should do that, too.

02:25:14 - 02:25:20 | Speaker 3:

I feel like I know these guys. Do I know you guys? Have I met you guys before? I know you guys do look really super familiar. Have you ever been in prison?

02:25:20 - 02:25:27 | Speaker 7:

What's the last name? No. Wait, wait, wait. Family last name. What's the last name? Aubrey. You guys, I'm telling you, I know you guys from somewhere.

02:25:27 - 02:25:52 | Speaker 6:

First of all, everybody knows you. Well, you're voice famous, Mojo. I never knew what you looked like I was on your website because I wanted to put a face to that voice You had to update that picture You didn't have that much gray hair No, no, I'm keeping that I like these guys You guys are welcome anytime You look much different too Hold on Hold on a second Alright, it's time for them to go

02:25:52 - 02:25:59 | Speaker 7:

I was going to say you guys should hang out for a little bit But I don't know Where did you guys grow up in town?

02:25:59 - 02:26:02 | Speaker 6:

East side, Macomb County, Sterling Heights, Warren. Good people.

02:26:03 - 02:26:34 | Speaker 7:

Raised the right way. All right, we'll hang out for a second. We thank you guys so much. Shannon's going to do the Dirty on the 30 right now. What about Shannon? How does Shannon look differently from her photos on there? Oh, not at all. She looks like a huge son of a bitch to say. Lee, get these guys out of here. These guys better be. Appreciate you. Thank you. And Amy. Hi, Amy. How are you? Amy worked the pride of Amy working in this building back in the day so we love you

02:26:34 - 02:26:38 | Speaker 5:

we love you even more now that you carry these giant oversized checks in the building

02:26:38 - 02:26:42 | Speaker 7:

guys hang out because we want to take pictures with you guys and stuff too

02:26:42 - 02:26:54 | Speaker 3:

so Kanye West under fire for an interview an appearance that he just made on Alex Jones' podcast Info Wars where he said he loves Hitler and the Nazis do you have those Kanye clips?

02:26:54 - 02:27:31 | Speaker 4:

okay i see i i see good things about hitler also the jew i love everyone and jewish people are not going to tell me you can love um you know us and you can love what we're doing to you with the contracts and you can love what we're you know what we're pushing with the pornography but this guy that invented highways invented the very microphone that i use as a musician you can't say out loud that this person ever did anything good, and I'm done with that. I'm done with the classifications. Every human being has something of value that they

02:27:31 - 02:27:42 | Speaker 3:

brought to the table. By the way, he sounds so muffled because he's wearing one of those masks over his face again. Okay? He's back to doing that. He's a monster. It just, like, it doesn't. And he kept going. As they were trying to go to break,

02:27:43 - 02:27:59 | Speaker 1:

he kept going. The most Nazi-like activities I've seen, and the Nazis in my view were thugs that shook people down to a lot of really bad things. But they did good things, too. We're going to stop dissing the Nazis all the time. Okay. I'm just saying. I don't like Nazis, and I don't like what some of the mafias are doing either. I like Hitler.

02:27:59 - 02:28:15 | Speaker 7:

I like Hitler. When Alex Jones looks like the good guy in an interview. It's bad. You know it's bad. By the way, why does Kanye not have a conservator? Can Jamie Spears be his conservator, for God's sakes? Mojo? Somebody seriously has been saying this.

02:28:15 - 02:28:20 | Speaker 2:

Beautiful, beautiful words to come out of your mouth that I have been saying for months and months and months. How dare you?

02:28:20 - 02:28:36 | Speaker 7:

But honestly, it's scaring me now. It's getting to a point where I feel like we're going to wake up one day and the man's going to be dead. He's going to kill himself or something like that. I hate to say it. A tragic thing is going to happen, and I hope it's not happening when he's with his children at that time.

02:28:36 - 02:28:51 | Speaker 5:

Well, and sadly, he's been in the throes of a mental health crisis for a long time here. We've seen it played out in public for the better part of two years now. And a lot of people are exploiting him, using him. That's the thing His team should not be having him do interviews

02:28:51 - 02:28:56 | Speaker 7:

But also people want to quickly just cancel him They don't want to help him And I think the guy needs help

02:28:56 - 02:29:11 | Speaker 5:

Well I hope he gets the help he obviously needs But also it doesn't excuse his anti-Semitism And all the horrible things he said I hope he gets his help off camera Off microphone And just you know I wish he should stop exploiting it Spreading his message

02:29:11 - 02:29:25 | Speaker 7:

The media just loves to go and play this stuff And then attack him He's horrible he's a horrible human being I hate him Somebody go help the freaking guy Somebody step in that can step in And help him One of his fellow, you know, protégés or rappers

02:29:25 - 02:29:35 | Speaker 5:

But it's hard because he's making it hard for people too Because every time people try and give him an excuse He doubles down and makes it even worse And people don't want to associate period with him

02:29:35 - 02:29:43 | Speaker 2:

Right, and Alex Jones needs to be held liable For giving him a platform too He's just as much as part of the problem By giving him a voice

02:29:43 - 02:29:50 | Speaker 5:

Like he already saw last month When he was on Tucker Carlson and all the crazy things he said, and instead of being like, well, we don't want that on our show, he's like, hey, let's get that.

02:29:51 - 02:29:58 | Speaker 7:

But you know for a fact every media outlet would do an interview with Kanye West right now. No. Yes, they would. I don't know about that. I believe it. They would do it for the ratings.

02:29:58 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 5:

Kanye's showing up anywhere there's a...

02:30:00 - 02:30:03 | Speaker 3:

live microphone. He could be a lot of places that they're not inviting him. They bring him in

02:30:03 - 02:30:06 | Speaker 4:

to kick him out just so they can get publicity, too.

02:30:06 - 02:31:50 | Speaker 1:

In Other Dirty Today, an update for Michigan fans running back. Blake Corum will undergo surgery on his knee, which means he is out for the season. And as Michigan prepares for the Big Ten championship game tomorrow against Purdue, it all lies around Donovan Edwards to carry the load as running back. More than six years after all of the rumors surfaced that Rita Ora was Becky with the good hair in Beyonce's song, Sorry. She's finally shutting down that rumor. I think she's tried to shut it down before, but she did a BBC podcast interview, and so she spoke specifically about the necklace that she wore in a 2016 Snapchat photo that led fans to believe that lyric was about her, and she said it wasn't a J. It was an R for Rita. They flipped it around, and it looked like a J, And there was also like a lemon, a bra that had lemons on it or something that people were like, oh, here she goes. She's fueling the fire. And she's like, no, that was, I was helping my friend who's a designer. And that was for design. She said, it's so frustrating that still six years later, this is happening. She said, a pinch of salt. You've got to take things with a pinch of salt. And that's what's insane. She said she had to sit through it until a very good friend of hers by the name of Katy Perry finally gave her a badge that said, not Becky she started wearing and for the second year in a row it's become quite the tradition in Kim Kardashian's household she hired Grammy winning pianist Philip Cornish to wake up her four kids every morning with some lovely Christmas tunes could you imagine making up this every morning

02:31:50 - 02:31:52 | Speaker 4:

mom

02:31:52 - 02:31:54 | Speaker 1:

You hear him at one point

02:31:54 - 02:32:00 | Speaker 4:

No because you're not rich like Kim And waste money on A guy playing piano for the kids

02:32:00 - 02:32:24 | Speaker 1:

Somebody was commenting This isn't her Instagram story But somebody reposted it and said What's wrong with just saying Get the hell out of bed to your kids Another writing And this is why she needs that $200,000 a month In child support Referencing Kim and Kanye's recent child support agreement That we learned about this week Her living room is beautiful Of course For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page On NojoInTheMorning.com

02:33:13 - 02:33:26 | Speaker 4:

02:33:26 - 02:33:28 | Speaker 5:

Some might say I was even being nice

02:33:28 - 02:33:39 | Speaker 4:

She was not going to look for her own personal gain Even though this was a good looking guy Actually, I don't even know what the hell he looks like Does anybody have a picture of him?

02:33:39 - 02:33:45 | Speaker 1:

He was sitting by himself literally right next to where Megan's dad was sitting by himself. They should have sat together.

02:33:45 - 02:33:54 | Speaker 5:

If you go look at the Mojo in the Morning Instagram right now, Mojo has a picture with, I forget the little guy's name. I apologize for that.

02:33:54 - 02:34:03 | Speaker 4:

Was it, it was Danny, Dwayne. Definitely one of those. He was a Miracle League player. Yes.

02:34:03 - 02:34:11 | Speaker 5:

So if you look in the back of that photo, Megan is talking to him in that photo. Oh, the guy with the hat. The hat guy.

02:34:12 - 02:34:15 | Speaker 4:

02:34:19 - 02:34:29 | Speaker 4:

What do we got going on here, huh? Megan canoodling. Canoodling? Yeah. She's like having some fun with this guy in the corner.

02:34:29 - 02:34:32 | Speaker 5:

Okay, that sounds like I was doing something inappropriate in the corner.

02:34:33 - 02:34:37 | Speaker 4:

Well, he's a little nervous and on the phone with us right now.

02:34:37 - 02:34:45 | Speaker 5:

02:35:15 - 02:35:19 | Speaker 3:

Well, yeah, she already called me her future ex-husband.

02:35:20 - 02:35:26 | Speaker 2:

Tell us a little bit about yourself. Give us the elevator speech. If you're stuck in the elevator with Megan for 10 seconds, what do you tell her about yourself?

02:35:26 - 02:35:43 | Speaker 3:

uh well you're gonna laugh because i am a local truck driver uh which is perfect because she has she has a history with truck drivers yeah um 35 about to be 36 uh never married and no kids

02:35:43 - 02:36:05 | Speaker 1:

just me as you seen me last night all right and and what is it about megan because this was that That comes on a day when Megan was very upset at DJ New Era for not being nice to her. What makes it, you know, that you would like to take Megan and maybe go on a date with her?

02:36:06 - 02:36:15 | Speaker 3:

Well, she's just beautiful and has a beautiful personality. And I love her smile. And, you know, it's time somebody shows her attention, too.

02:36:16 - 02:36:19 | Speaker 1:

You know that she is a lady and she does not do it on the first date.

02:36:20 - 02:36:22 | Speaker 3:

Of course, I don't either. I'm a gentleman.

02:36:23 - 02:36:35 | Speaker 1:

Good. I like that. Good answer. All right, come on to my house. Hold on. Let me show you to my gun room. If Scott Mick were here, he'd be doing all this stuff. He'd be saying all this stuff. Did you meet Megan's dad last night, John?

02:36:36 - 02:36:36 | Speaker 3:

No.

02:36:36 - 02:36:37 | Speaker 1:

You didn't end up going over on Tain High? Oh, okay.

02:36:38 - 02:36:40 | Speaker 2:

No. Okay. Well, I have a question now.

02:36:41 - 02:36:43 | Speaker 1:

We're not going to let Megan talk to him. No. We're all going to ask a question.

02:36:43 - 02:37:14 | Speaker 2:

If she finds this favorable and wants to give you a shot, Are you willing to wait on the sidelines for a few minutes? Because I was so excited to see Megan get on Love is Blind. I don't want this to screw up her process if she gets a boyfriend. So would you be willing to wait another month maybe for your date until we see how that plays out to see if she's on that? Not to reject you, but maybe put you on hold, put a little pin in it until we can see if she makes it on TV.

02:37:14 - 02:37:18 | Speaker 3:

Of course, good things are worth waiting for

02:37:18 - 02:37:20 | Speaker 2:

Ooh, that's a good answer Look at this guy

02:37:20 - 02:37:25 | Speaker 1:

Real quick, before you talk to Megan Donnie, what did you want to say?

02:37:26 - 02:37:32 | Speaker 4:

So I texted in and I said Megan doesn't need love is blind She needs a John

02:37:32 - 02:37:36 | Speaker 5:

Also, bam, bam, bam, bam

02:37:36 - 02:37:39 | Speaker 2:

Everybody's rooting for you, Megan

02:37:39 - 02:37:44 | Speaker 1:

Don't you want to hear the conversation Between the two of these guys? Let me dip the music here for one second

02:37:44 - 02:37:48 | Speaker 5:

No, Megan's going to be awkward and laugh. That is also true.

02:37:49 - 02:37:52 | Speaker 1:

Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on. Things are going to be good here.

02:37:52 - 02:37:55 | Speaker 5:

My face is turning red, like, for her.

02:37:55 - 02:38:00 | Speaker 1:

All right, go ahead. You sit back. Don't say a word, okay? Go ahead, Megan.

02:38:00 - 02:38:06 | Speaker 6:

I got to tell you something very awkward before we start this. I'm literally sitting in a room with my boss just staring at me across the desk.

02:38:06 - 02:38:09 | Speaker 1:

You tell that dirty bastard to get out.

02:38:09 - 02:38:17 | Speaker 6:

So I don't know how to flirt with him staring at me. Shut up. Don't laugh. I can't picture that you're in here Hi John how are you

02:38:17 - 02:38:18 | Speaker 3:

Good how are you

02:38:18 - 02:38:22 | Speaker 6:

That was like my customer service voice Hello hi

02:38:22 - 02:38:25 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for shopping at Megan Taha

02:38:25 - 02:38:28 | Speaker 6:

Now I need to ask what is wrong with you

02:38:28 - 02:38:32 | Speaker 3:

Nothing that I know of

02:38:32 - 02:38:41 | Speaker 6:

He did say Turn driver One of my aspirations in life Is to be a lot lizard Will you help me accomplish that

02:38:41 - 02:38:46 | Speaker 3:

I would want you to be better than a lot of lizards.

02:38:47 - 02:38:49 | Speaker 1:

This guy always has great answers.

02:38:49 - 02:38:50 | Speaker 3:

He does. He does.

02:38:50 - 02:38:53 | Speaker 1:

He's very generous. I don't know how they just fly out.

02:38:55 - 02:38:58 | Speaker 6:

You guys, he drives a motorcycle, and I don't know if I can do that.

02:38:58 - 02:39:00 | Speaker 1:

I want to see you on the back of his bike.

02:39:00 - 02:39:01 | Speaker 6:

No.

02:39:01 - 02:39:05 | Speaker 1:

Is it a crotch rocket? Is it a Harley? What is it? It's a Harley.

02:39:05 - 02:39:06 | Speaker 5:

It's very comfortable.

02:39:09 - 02:39:21 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to buy him one of those horrible T-shirts to see them wear. If you can read this shirt, the bitch fell off. All the Harley owners have that shirt.

02:39:23 - 02:39:27 | Speaker 1:

Megan, I think this could be good. This guy's got good answers. He's very smooth.

02:39:28 - 02:39:29 | Speaker 6:

Wait, did I miss where you're from, John?

02:39:30 - 02:39:31 | Speaker 3:

Flat Rock.

02:39:31 - 02:39:32 | Speaker 6:

Okay.

02:39:32 - 02:39:33 | Speaker 3:

Oh, so close.

02:39:34 - 02:39:37 | Speaker 5:

Wait, where's that? Very downriver near the border.

02:39:37 - 02:39:41 | Speaker 1:

Question, question. I got a question for Megan. What's your favorite Harry Styles song?

02:39:47 - 02:39:50 | Speaker 3:

I'm not sure I'm more of a country fan Oh, that's good

02:39:50 - 02:39:51 | Speaker 6:

Red flag

02:39:51 - 02:39:53 | Speaker 3:

No, why? Why red flag?

02:39:55 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 6:

I mean, country music is great I love it so much Luke Bryan

02:40:00 - 02:40:01 | Speaker 3:

rain makes corn

02:40:01 - 02:40:04 | Speaker 2:

you were on a country station for some time

02:40:04 - 02:40:05 | Speaker 3:

I was years

02:40:05 - 02:40:31 | Speaker 2:

alright so here's what I want to do guys I think this Donnie maybe you'll approve I think that what we should do is we should work it out because these next couple weeks are going to be really difficult and I don't want anybody getting exhausted and sick because we only have a few more weeks of shows I want to try to see if we can arrange for maybe you guys to go on a date before the new year because maybe Ringing in 2023 together Might be fun

02:40:31 - 02:40:39 | Speaker 3:

That would be fun I am a little bit nervous That I've made it on To the next round of Love is Blind now And that wouldn't be fair When will you find out?

02:40:39 - 02:40:40 | Speaker 4:

When will you find out?

02:40:41 - 02:40:43 | Speaker 3:

I don't know

02:40:43 - 02:40:51 | Speaker 2:

If you give up a man For a stupid TV show That could potentially Well it's not giving up First of all Could potentially be The love of your life

02:40:51 - 02:40:54 | Speaker 3:

Giving up would be Me being with him right now And we're not

02:40:54 - 02:40:55 | Speaker 2:

I understand

02:40:55 - 02:40:58 | Speaker 3:

And it also like he said Could be a great thing

02:40:58 - 02:41:01 | Speaker 2:

to wait for. In your contractual thing, they tell you you can't even go on a date?

02:41:02 - 02:41:07 | Speaker 3:

It would be a little weird to start dating somebody and then go off to a show where I possibly could get married. No, that would not be fair to John.

02:41:07 - 02:41:10 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. John, you're okay with that, right?

02:41:10 - 02:41:22 | Speaker 4:

No, that is not fair. John. You already said good things are worth waiting for, so we're not letting him off the hook. She has... Megan, we're not... Megan's not... Right? You're not saying you don't want to date. You're just saying we need to wait

02:41:22 - 02:41:23 | Speaker 3:

a few weeks. Right, right.

02:41:24 - 02:41:26 | Speaker 4:

Okay, I want to get that on record. Can you put that in writing for us?

02:41:28 - 02:41:33 | Speaker 2:

John, I'll go on a freaking date with you, buddy. You didn't even have to buy me flowers.

02:41:33 - 02:41:36 | Speaker 3:

I've been talking about for months auditioning for this show. This isn't fair.

02:41:36 - 02:41:48 | Speaker 2:

John, don't worry about it, pal. I'll meet you. Halfway between here and Flat Rock. Where is it? Tell me. I'll meet you there. Maybe it was Southgate. I'll see you back at the Red Robin, okay?

02:41:49 - 02:41:50 | Speaker 4:

Done, yeah.

02:41:50 - 02:41:58 | Speaker 2:

All right. Let's see what happens with this thing, because this could be the moment. This might be the moment at the wedding that we're playing this audio right now, No, the first time they talk to each other.

02:41:59 - 02:42:06 | Speaker 3:

Hey, you might need to hold off because I might be getting married to somebody else. But if that doesn't work out, then I'm excited for this marriage.

02:42:06 - 02:42:15 | Speaker 4:

This is a good origin story. Walk through fire for you. Or the Red Robin parking lot.

02:42:19 - 02:42:31 | Speaker 3:

What I will say was, John is very cute. I have to give him credit. He's a very good looking guy. And he was so incredibly nice. So it is hard to be like, not right now, because he was so sweet.

02:42:31 - 02:42:38 | Speaker 2:

He's way better looking than I thought he was going to be. I looked at that picture, and I'm like, wow, this guy's actually a good-looking guy. I thought that he'd be one of the other ugly guys that came to that.

02:42:38 - 02:42:43 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, he's actually probably a little too good-looking for me, if I'm being honest. Like, I don't know if I would get naked with this man.

02:42:44 - 02:42:49 | Speaker 2:

Are you sure you don't want to hit on Shannon? That always ends up happening to, you know, all the good.

02:42:49 - 02:42:50 | Speaker 3:

Thanks for reminding me.

02:42:50 - 02:42:56 | Speaker 2:

No, it always ends up happening. But, you know, see, Megan, the one time that you sit there and you go, good-looking guy, he's hot for you.

02:42:57 - 02:43:00 | Speaker 3:

And you get all TV show.

02:43:01 - 02:43:05 | Speaker 2:

She's worried about her television life. Megan.

02:43:06 - 02:43:14 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. Why are you making me out to be a jerk right now? I didn't do anything wrong here. I'm in the right for once.

02:43:14 - 02:43:18 | Speaker 2:

When is the TV show? Give me the month. Month date and time.

02:43:18 - 02:43:20 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I don't know.

02:43:20 - 02:43:34 | Speaker 2:

John, hang on. This is actually good for men to have this happen to them because women always have to deal with guys keeping them on the hook like this. You're going to be on the hook, John. Yeah, I'm good with that. All right, hold on one second there.

02:43:34 - 02:43:44 | Speaker 1:

I want the end result to be like its own little dating show called, like, Croc or No Croc, or That's a Croc. That's a Croc. In honor of her dad's Crocs, is that what it is? Then if they date, she gives him a pair of Crocs to put on,

02:43:45 - 02:43:48 | Speaker 2:

and they go on a date. Instead of a rose. Megan, do you seriously find him attractive?

02:43:48 - 02:43:49 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I actually think he's really cute.

02:43:50 - 02:43:51 | Speaker 2:

Okay, because I want to make sure of that.

02:43:51 - 02:43:52 | Speaker 3:

He's, like, very cute. Like, honestly, too cute.

02:43:52 - 02:43:59 | Speaker 2:

Because I thought maybe, I was thinking to myself, I'm like going, okay, maybe she's just not into him, and that's the reason why she's going to use the show as the excuse.

02:43:59 - 02:44:06 | Speaker 3:

No. No, that was actually the hard part. No, he's so cute that I don't, I don't, I couldn't get naked with him.

02:44:07 - 02:44:09 | Speaker 2:

Why? He's too cute? He's too cute?

02:44:09 - 02:44:12 | Speaker 3:

Stop it. No. Hold on.

02:44:12 - 02:44:15 | Speaker 2:

Put him back on hold, KP. Put him back on hold.

02:44:16 - 02:44:17 | Speaker 4:

He's already into you, so.

02:44:18 - 02:44:23 | Speaker 2:

Hold. Oh, you hung up Sean on the phone. I wanted to find out what he looks like naked.

02:44:23 - 02:44:23 | Speaker 3:

Oh, darn.

02:44:23 - 02:44:38 | Speaker 2:

We're going to ask him the question. All right, I've got to get to a phone scam. We're running so late. We're going to be on until 11 today if we don't stop this. Phone scam, classic phone scam Friday. Ever see those inflatable lawn decorations that Mike has all over his front yard? How many do you have?

02:44:39 - 02:44:40 | Speaker 1:

Two. Too many.

02:44:40 - 02:44:53 | Speaker 2:

All right. Well, we are going to call a home improvement store and scam the manager. Todd. Spike is going to complain about a problem that he has with his inflatable snow globe. Hold on. Are you having a stroke?

02:44:53 - 02:44:54 | Speaker 4:

Are you okay?

02:44:55 - 02:44:55 | Speaker 2:

I think it might be.

02:44:56 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 3:

We will, we will scam you.

02:45:00 - 02:45:06 | Speaker 5:

Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scans. Mojo in the morning.

02:45:07 - 02:45:19 | Speaker 4:

Thank you for calling. For directions to the store, press one. For store hours, press two. Or to speak with the operator, press zero. Transferring, please hold.

02:45:22 - 02:45:24 | Speaker 6:

Hello, how am I going to direct your call?

02:45:25 - 02:45:38 | Speaker 3:

Hello. First of all, I have to say that I'm a very big fan of the Christmas lights and the tinsel and the glittery knick-knacks on my house to, you know, let the neighbors know that I'm infected with Christmas spirit. So I don't want you to think I'm a Grinch with this phone call, okay?

02:45:39 - 02:45:41 | Speaker 6:

Great. How do I direct your call? Who do you want to talk to?

02:45:41 - 02:45:48 | Speaker 3:

Well, I have a problem with a Christmas ornament, the inflatable snow globe Christmas lawn ornament that I bought at your store.

02:45:48 - 02:45:50 | Speaker 6:

Hang on one second. I'll direct you to seasonal.

02:45:50 - 02:45:53 | Speaker 3:

Wait, hang on one second. I just need to talk to you because are you the manager?

02:45:54 - 02:45:55 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I'm the manager.

02:45:55 - 02:46:07 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Well, I got this ornament at your store. It's the Santa and reindeer sleigh and the plastic snow that blows around in the little snow globe, and it's on my lawn. It's like six feet high. Do you know what I'm talking about?

02:46:08 - 02:46:12 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, well, what's wrong with it? I mean, if it's broken, bring it back in. We'll replace it. No big deal.

02:46:12 - 02:46:14 | Speaker 3:

Well, what do I do about my cat?

02:46:16 - 02:46:17 | Speaker 6:

What do you mean? What do you do about your cat?

02:46:18 - 02:46:21 | Speaker 3:

Well, how do I remove it? How do I get my cat out?

02:46:22 - 02:46:23 | Speaker 6:

Cat out of what?

02:46:24 - 02:46:32 | Speaker 3:

The lawn ornament, the snow globe, the six-foot air-filled plastic billow of fluff it ate my kitty. The cat is stuck in the globe on my lawn.

02:46:33 - 02:46:34 | Speaker 6:

Are you kidding me?

02:46:34 - 02:46:37 | Speaker 3:

That's why I'm calling. My cat is stuck in the snow globe.

02:46:38 - 02:46:40 | Speaker 6:

All right, well, how did it get in there?

02:46:41 - 02:46:44 | Speaker 3:

I don't know how he got in there, but now we have a feline fiasco.

02:46:44 - 02:46:48 | Speaker 6:

All right, well, figure it out. However it got in there, that's how you get it out again.

02:46:48 - 02:46:52 | Speaker 3:

Well, how do other customers remove their pet when it becomes lodged in the decoration?

02:46:53 - 02:46:58 | Speaker 6:

I have never heard of another customer getting their pet lodged in a Christmas decoration before.

02:46:58 - 02:47:08 | Speaker 3:

Poor guy keeps looking at me, and I don't know how to get him out. I can't find an entrance, and he keeps blowing around in circles, you know? Hang in there, Dr. Doofenshmirtz. Daddy's going to get you out.

02:47:09 - 02:47:13 | Speaker 6:

Okay, well, why don't you just, you know, cut a hole in it and take him out?

02:47:14 - 02:47:16 | Speaker 3:

I don't want to cut it. I paid 200 clams for it.

02:47:17 - 02:47:20 | Speaker 6:

All right, well, what do you like better? You like the ornament, or you like the cats?

02:47:20 - 02:47:28 | Speaker 3:

Well, it shouldn't be a discussion of which one I like better. I paid so much money for this thing. What do other people do to get their cat out?

02:47:28 - 02:47:32 | Speaker 6:

I've never heard of anybody having a cat. Well, that's crazy.

02:47:32 - 02:47:37 | Speaker 3:

Now he's stuck in there. His fur is all static, clingy, and the snow sticking to his fur and his tail and his ears and his tongue.

02:47:38 - 02:47:42 | Speaker 6:

All right, I told you what to do. You can cut a hole or you can unplug it.

02:47:42 - 02:47:51 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I can't unplug it. If the electricity goes out, it deflates and it just kind of collapses on the ground like a used truck stop prophylactic. and he'll suffocate.

02:47:52 - 02:47:54 | Speaker 6:

Okay, well, if you unplug it...

02:47:54 - 02:48:06 | Speaker 3:

You know, I'm going to sue you people. You're not very helpful. I just gave you three different ideas. What else do you want from me? Yeah, but you sold me this unwieldy winter wonderland waste of money, and now Dr. Doofenshmirtz is in danger.

02:48:07 - 02:48:12 | Speaker 6:

I'm telling you, three different ways to do it. Cut a hole, unplug it...

02:48:12 - 02:48:18 | Speaker 3:

Wait, I have another option. What if we just told you that this is mojo in the morning if you've just been phone scanned?

02:48:20 - 02:48:53 | Speaker 5:

02:50:02 - 02:50:03 | Speaker 1:

Oh, cute. So cute.

02:50:03 - 02:50:08 | Speaker 2:

You know who you look like? You look like the kid in movies that gets in trouble with mom all the time.

02:50:08 - 02:50:14 | Speaker 1:

I was just going to say, he's going to be in the movies or the principal's office, because he reminds me of me when I was that age. He really does. Yeah.

02:50:14 - 02:50:18 | Speaker 2:

Are you a character? Yeah. Yeah, he's shaking his head.

02:50:18 - 02:50:20 | Speaker 3:

I'm always in the office. Oh, yeah.

02:50:22 - 02:50:33 | Speaker 2:

Leo's the oldest, right? Leo, come up here. Leo, you get in trouble, too, I understand, right? Yeah. By the way, how cool, you have a dad that is a superstar, huh?

02:50:33 - 02:50:34 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'd say so.

02:50:34 - 02:50:36 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. How often do you guys get a chance to actually talk to dad?

02:50:37 - 02:50:39 | Speaker 1:

Probably like twice a day. Oh, good. Really? That's cool.

02:50:40 - 02:50:41 | Speaker 2:

So that's cool. And when's dad coming back again?

02:50:41 - 02:50:42 | Speaker 1:

I have no idea.

02:50:42 - 02:50:43 | Speaker 2:

No? Holidays?

02:50:43 - 02:50:46 | Speaker 1:

Soon, if you guys don't stop getting in trouble. You're driving your mom crazy.

02:50:46 - 02:51:02 | Speaker 2:

Are you guys going to spend Christmas down there? Oh, good. Okay, great. Where do you go to school? I go to Heartland. All right. And who is this guy right over here? Is this Vinny? You don't look like a Vinny. Yeah, you do. You look like a Vinny. Yeah, you look exactly like a Vinny. You want to say hi? You want to say hi to anybody?

02:51:02 - 02:51:03 | Unknown:

Hi.

02:51:03 - 02:51:09 | Speaker 2:

Hi. Great. You have the greatest mom ever? Yes. Mom's doing two jobs right now, right?

02:51:09 - 02:51:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:51:09 - 02:51:12 | Speaker 2:

She's mom and dad for a while while dad's away, right? Yeah. What's that?

02:51:13 - 02:51:14 | Speaker 3:

He's my twin brother.

02:51:15 - 02:51:59 | Speaker 2:

You guys are twins? Yeah. Oh, my God. Look at you guys. You guys are twins. I didn't realize that. He's the one that gets in trouble all the time, right? Are you the smart one? and the one that always does good... He's a smart one. He's a smart one. Oh, you guys are cute. Oh, my God. Did you cheat off your brother? Yeah, kind of. All right. That's all right. Lindsey, you do a great job, Lindsey. Thank you. I give it to all the military wives and husbands when their spouse is away. So you guys are awesome. We're going to do a wish coming up here in just a second, but before we do a wish, we have this... You guys want some pizza and food? Can these guys eat some food too? Look at these chickens. Come on up here. In studio with us this morning are Todd and Justin from Soroky's Crispy Chicken and Pizza.

02:52:01 - 02:52:02 | Speaker 4:

Hi, guys.

02:52:03 - 02:52:08 | Speaker 2:

Hello. So, okay, so real quick. So, Todd, Justin, right? Other way around. Justin, Todd.

02:52:08 - 02:52:08 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

02:52:08 - 02:52:31 | Speaker 2:

Wait, Todd, Justin, Todd. All right, great. So, Soroky's started as a pizza place and a gas station, right? Where was the first location? It was in Wixom. and it like word of mouth started spreading that this gas station had freaking pizza that was the best pizza in the world right yes pizza and chicken are pizza and chicken so it always did

02:52:31 - 02:52:50 | Speaker 1:

the crisp the crispy yeah i lived right down the street from it and it was like tradition that before a guy's trip we would all stop there get the chicken and the pizza and then we would drive up north and it would smell up our car for five hours and it was like and everybody's like don't touch it yet you're not allowed to eat it's for dinner tonight and we would torture ourselves

02:52:50 - 02:52:59 | Speaker 2:

so then what was it the all of a sudden business mind started going and you guys said we got to franchise this thing and put it in other places and put it all over the place well it did so well

02:52:59 - 02:53:29 | Speaker 4:

um and it went on for so long um our cousin was opening a brand new gas station on woodward and royal oak and he invited us to come in there the shell it's barrels and vines oh yeah yeah A huge store for you. Todd, I was in Boston at the time. I was on the phone with Todd, and he's like, hey, Laith wants us to go in this station. I said, let's do it. I said, do it. I know, Laith. Go for it. Yeah, that's a good man. So that was the second location, and then pretty much kind of took off from there. Wow.

02:53:29 - 02:53:31 | Speaker 1:

How many locations do you have now?

02:53:31 - 02:53:33 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. We have seven stores currently open.

02:53:33 - 02:53:40 | Speaker 2:

Todd, who's the brains behind this operation here? Like, I asked the kids just a second ago, who's the brains? Come on, answer that question. I've got to ask him.

02:53:40 - 02:53:45 | Speaker 4:

Well, Todd's the founder and CEO. Todd, are you the brains? He started it. Or the brawn. He's the good-looking guy, isn't he?

02:53:45 - 02:53:50 | Speaker 1:

He's the cutie pie. Todd's the looks, you know? Put him on the posters, you know? Yeah. I'm switching that to Justin.

02:53:51 - 02:54:08 | Speaker 2:

02:54:20 - 02:54:25 | Speaker 1:

02:54:25 - 02:54:27 | Speaker 3:

Salad and some biscuits, I believe.

02:54:28 - 02:54:58 | Speaker 2:

Thank you again to Lindsay and the kids for coming in. Breaking Down and Christmas Wish Out on the Streets Granting Wishes This one's an amazing one Going to Hamtramck A teacher Mrs. Ricosi Wrote us a letter About this sweet little boy Sebastian The greatest kid in the world Mrs. Ricosi

02:55:00 - 02:55:03 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. Hey, how are you?

02:55:03 - 02:55:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm good. The EC teachers and Grandma Sue and many friends around and the good Hamtramck police officers too to help us.

02:55:11 - 02:55:25 | Speaker 4:

I love it. All right, so I want to just real quick before we go up and surprise this family. I want you, Ms. McCrossey, to talk about this sweet little boy, Sebastian, and how Sebastian is obsessed with Christmas, right?

02:55:26 - 02:55:36 | Speaker 3:

He is obsessed with Christmas and everything sparkly and animals. If you could glue those two together, you would have a perfect day for him.

02:55:36 - 02:55:39 | Speaker 4:

How many years have you been teaching, if you don't mind? I know that's a personal question.

02:55:39 - 02:55:46 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh. I've been teaching kindergarten and first grade, and it's over about 31 years. Oh, my goodness.

02:55:46 - 02:56:14 | Speaker 4:

And you and I talked, okay, what, a week ago or so? And when we talked, Mr. Cozy, you talked about how you have a very diverse class. As a matter of fact, in Hamtramck, it's a very diverse neighborhood. There's a lot of people that come from different countries. As a matter of fact, it's a lot of different languages, different religions. And Sebastian is, like, so excited about Christmas. He kind of, like, exemplifies what Christmas is all about and talks to his friends all the time about how much he loves Santa Claus.

02:56:15 - 02:56:23 | Speaker 3:

Exactly. Exactly. And, you know, he's one of the few students in our school that celebrate Polish Christmas.

02:56:23 - 02:57:06 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that's cool. I like it. So you're going to hear in just a second the letter that Mr. Cozy is going to read for us about Sebastian's mom and how she was diagnosed with cancer. Hello. Hey, is this Kevin? Yes, this is Kevin. Hi, Kevin Mojo from Mojo in the Morning Show. Hi, Mojo. How you doing, buddy? How you doing? I'm doing fantastic, man. Kevin, I know you're a busy guy, and I know that you and Alex have your hands full there at the house, but I wanted to call you because we received a letter about Alex and about you and about your sweet Sebastian.

02:57:09 - 02:57:11 | Speaker 2:

Okay. I appreciate it.

02:57:12 - 02:57:20 | Speaker 4:

It's our breaking and entering Christmas wish that we do, and the beautiful lady who wrote this letter is going to read it to you, okay? Okay.

02:57:20 - 02:58:51 | Speaker 3:

Dear Mojo in the morning, breaking and entering Christmas wish. My name is Janice Roccozzi, and I am a first-grade teacher in the Early Childhood Elementary in Hamtramck. Sincerely and so happy to be Sebastian's teacher, Janice Racozzi.

02:58:54 - 02:58:56 | Speaker 4:

Mrs. Racozzi's a sweet lady, isn't she?

02:58:57 - 02:59:03 | Speaker 2:

Wow, I'm speechless. I'm floored. I'm very thankful.

02:59:03 - 02:59:13 | Speaker 1:

All our teachers are amazing, but Janice said, I wish I could be their fairy godmother. Well, she was this morning because she took the time to write that email and it got to us.

02:59:13 - 02:59:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:59:14 - 02:59:15 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

02:59:16 - 02:59:20 | Speaker 4:

Kevin, how is your sweet Alex doing right now?

02:59:21 - 02:59:23 | Speaker 2:

She's doing good, right? She's here right now.

02:59:23 - 02:59:23 | Speaker 4:

Is she?

02:59:23 - 02:59:24 | Speaker 2:

Hello?

02:59:24 - 02:59:25 | Speaker 4:

Yes. Alex?

02:59:26 - 02:59:27 | Speaker 2:

Good morning.

02:59:28 - 02:59:30 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, Alex. We're praying for you.

02:59:31 - 02:59:33 | Speaker 2:

02:59:33 - 02:59:36 | Speaker 4:

But also for you, your comfort, listen, I'm a big Michigan fan, but your comfort comes before any silly rivalry. I understand you're an Ohio State fan, aren't you?

03:03:17 - 03:03:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I am. I was very upset about that game.

03:03:20 - 03:03:35 | Speaker 2:

Well, we'll try and, you know, we'll try and smooth it over. We're going to give you some Ohio State, a sweater and slippers and heated blanket, and we got an iPad that you can use during treatment. So, you can watch the team rebound next year, maybe.

03:03:36 - 03:03:38 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, most definitely.

03:03:38 - 03:03:50 | Speaker 1:

And we also want to make sure that when you get through your treatments, that you have everything you need to kind of get comforted. So, we even put in a spa gift card there so that you have that.

03:03:50 - 03:03:51 | Speaker 4:

A little spa day.

03:03:51 - 03:03:52 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. You deserve that. It's going to be cool.

03:03:53 - 03:04:09 | Speaker 4:

No, I know Leland and Aiden are there, and they're probably listening to us on speakerphone, and we did not forget about you guys. So we got all sorts of sensory toys for Leland. We got him a sensory chair. We know he loves soccer, so we got him some soccer stuff. Aiden, can Aiden hear us?

03:04:09 - 03:04:10 | Speaker 1:

Aiden? No.

03:04:11 - 03:04:13 | Speaker 4:

I don't want to ruin the surprise, but we heard...

03:04:13 - 03:04:17 | Speaker 3:

Aiden's not a big fan of a lot of people, so he took off. Okay, that's okay. That's okay.

03:04:17 - 03:04:19 | Speaker 4:

That's okay. It kind of sounds like Megan.

03:04:20 - 03:04:21 | Speaker 3:

Megan, did that sound like...

03:04:21 - 03:04:33 | Speaker 4:

We heard that he was dreaming and wishing for a Nintendo Switch. So, along with everything else we got him, we put a switch in there for him. Oh, my God. So, he's going to be so – I'm so excited for him to open that.

03:04:33 - 03:04:35 | Speaker 2:

And, Kevin, you're a Tigers fan.

03:04:35 - 03:04:41 | Speaker 1:

Put Kevin on the phone, can you, Alex, so we can talk to Kevin real quick? Yes, I'm here. Kevin? Yeah.

03:04:41 - 03:04:54 | Speaker 2:

You're a Tigers fan, Kevin, so we can't forget you. We got you. If you see, one of those bags has a Detroit Tigers hat and a Detroit Tigers blanket. And, oh, a pair of tickets to opening day. So, you can go to the –

03:04:54 - 03:05:01 | Speaker 3:

Just this time, my birthday's on April the 5th. Oh, it's perfect. Big win for Kevin.

03:05:01 - 03:05:02 | Speaker 2:

Love it.

03:05:02 - 03:05:02 | Speaker 3:

Kevin, can I...

03:05:02 - 03:05:09 | Speaker 5:

Great birthday present for me. I appreciate you. Thank you so much. They're going to be good, too. Sebastian's not going to be in that day, just so you guys know.

03:05:12 - 03:05:12 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

03:05:12 - 03:05:14 | Speaker 4:

What a good memory for you guys to have.

03:05:15 - 03:05:19 | Speaker 5:

That'd be amazing. Yeah, this is something to never forget. I really do appreciate you guys from the bottom of my heart.

03:05:19 - 03:05:20 | Speaker 4:

You just stop it right now.

03:05:20 - 03:06:01 | Speaker 2:

We're not done. Kevin, I will never forget how much my dad stepped up as a dad and a husband when my mom was battling cancer. And when I heard the story from Ms. Ricosi about how you have been stepping up in such a huge way, you remind me so much of my pops. This is like the most brutal time ever. Your beautiful wife's going to get through this, and you guys are going to be so close as a family afterwards. But I know that the bills and everything like that has been a struggle. Yes. Our friends at Kroger are going to help you guys out with food and everything. They're going to give you, like, a $500 gift card to fill up all your cupboards, okay?

03:06:02 - 03:06:06 | Speaker 5:

I appreciate it. Thank you so much, guys.

03:06:06 - 03:06:18 | Speaker 2:

And we want to make sure that you have, you know, gas to get to and from treatments and taking Sebastian, Leland, Aiden to school. So we put $450 worth of gas cards in there.

03:06:19 - 03:06:26 | Speaker 4:

We organized an entire dinner and a movie date night for you and your beautiful wife so you guys can get out and have some quality time together.

03:06:27 - 03:07:00 | Speaker 2:

and our friends Mark and Chris over at a company called Motor City Pawn Brokers. They have locations all around town, Detroit, Warren, Roseville, Ferndale. They're opening, actually, in 2023 in Hamtramck. They heard about you guys with your automotive issues, and they heard what was going on here. And so they wrote a check to break an end on Christmas wish, which we are going to endorse over to you for $5,000 to get some transportation.

03:07:01 - 03:07:17 | Speaker 5:

Thank you so much, guys. I don't know what to say. Thank you so much, guys. I really do appreciate it. This really is going to help a lot. And I appreciate it. Thank you so much.

03:07:18 - 03:07:47 | Speaker 2:

We appreciate you guys. We love you guys so much. And, Alex, we're praying for you. Um, we, one last thing, I know that we, this seems like a lot, but one last thing we want you when everything's all said and done to get away with your family. So we're going to send you guys on a trip as a family to Kalahari so that you guys can go and have a stay there and take the kids to celebrate, to celebrate Alex getting through this, uh, this time. Okay.

03:07:48 - 03:07:51 | Speaker 5:

I appreciate it. Thank you so much. I know the kids are going to have a blast.

03:07:51 - 03:08:09 | Speaker 4:

Oh, they will. And I want to say something, too, because, Alex, you said your next appointment with your doctor is December 14th, okay? And we believe in the power of prayer on this show. And just know how many millions of people you have that are going to be thinking about you on December 14th, okay? Thank you so much.

03:08:11 - 03:08:15 | Speaker 2:

Mrs. Ricosi, you are amazing. Thank you for telling us about this family.

03:08:15 - 03:08:19 | Speaker 4:
