You're a doo-doo hack. Here we go, go, go.

I really can't stay

00:02:51 - 00:02:57 | Speaker 9:

But baby, it's cold outside. But baby, it's cold outside.

00:02:57 - 00:03:05 | Speaker 8:

Colder than a witch's titty out there, isn't it? You drop in. I'll hold your hands. They're just like ice.

00:03:05 - 00:03:06 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

00:03:07 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 8:

Beautiful.

00:03:08 - 00:03:25 | Speaker 5:

It's the first morning that we've ever had of the year where I thought to myself, why could this not be a Saturday? I've been like, oh, I love it. This has been fun coming in here, but driving this morning, oh, my God. No cabs to be bad.

00:03:25 - 00:03:30 | Speaker 7:

It wasn't even the drive here for me. Our parking lot is so icy, and it was so windy. I was like, I'm going to fall.

00:03:30 - 00:03:46 | Speaker 5:

Man, I'm not going to lie to you. I have been saving the front parking spot in front of the building for Shannon because I know that Shannon comes in either right around the same time as I do or maybe sometimes a little bit before me, and if I don't see her there, I think, okay, should I or should I not take that spot?

00:03:46 - 00:03:51 | Speaker 6:

Well, you must have been in such a giving mood today Because you took the spot. I took the spot.

00:03:51 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 5:

I was like, you know what? F that baby. What do you say? What do you say? What do you say, Megan?

00:03:57 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 7:

F the baby. F that Shannon. What I find very interesting is he saves you a spot.

00:04:03 - 00:04:09 | Speaker 5:

Yes. Because you know why? Because you come in a little after, and I know that you love your steps. So I just wanted to get in.

00:04:09 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 6:

I was just waiting for him to be like, she's old. No. Oh, no. He wants you more. I feel bad.

00:04:15 - 00:04:21 | Speaker 7:

It's cold outside, but I'm still looking like a daddy because I'll never get cold.

00:04:21 - 00:04:26 | Speaker 6:

Guys, it's freaking freezing. The real field temperature is one degree. One degree.

00:04:27 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 7:

I don't mind the temperature. It really is that wind. Yeah. And that's so Midwestern to say, but it is the wind. Without the humidity. Without the wind.

00:04:35 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

In the suburbs, it's more than just that. In the suburbs, when I was driving through West Bloomfield and Southfield and stuff, it was the snow because you couldn't see the roads and then once i crossed over city limits i go i don't know there was no snow so it wasn't bad so be careful out on those streets i'm telling you it is not gonna be a fun morning

00:05:00 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 2:

for you. You're going to have a little bit of driving issues, so leave yourself some time or wait a little bit.

00:05:06 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 3:

It's so cold in the deep. How the hell do we post to keep peace? What's all on somebody's mind? Working and doing time. It's so cold

00:05:20 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 2:

in the deep. Hey, I'm only up. Don't say that word.

00:05:25 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 3:

What's all on somebody's mind?

00:05:28 - 00:06:00 | Speaker 2:

Working in one time Alright, check in just real quick 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 Text 95500 If you want to call us up and just tell us how you're holding up And how things are moving on your streets It's Mojo on the Morning Show Kevin, I saw And we have to post these pictures I saw Kevin had a date yesterday A date with a beautiful woman.

00:06:01 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 1:

Ah, you should be driving a Kia. Oh, that's right. Shout out to Tanya Lalonde. That was yesterday. It was yesterday. I don't want to call it a date because... Because it was more than that? Well, I don't... Yeah, it was... That doesn't really capture the essence of our experience. But, no, so I went out with Tanya Lalonde, and I didn't have any, like, preconceived notions, and I didn't go to get something other than to meet a wonderful person and to build a relationship.

00:06:29 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 2:

So you weren't looking for a car? Yeah, like that wasn't the goal. Which, by the way, for those who don't know, Tanya Lalonde owns the biggest Kia dealerships in the country.

00:06:39 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:06:40 - 00:06:51 | Speaker 2:

And she also has Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. But she's actually been one of our longest, greatest clients that we've ever had on the station, and she's one of the coolest people ever, and she's a huge, huge listener of the station.

00:06:51 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 1:

And hearing all of those things, I wanted to see it for myself. so Tanya and I have tried to go out and even Mojo we were supposed to go out with you the first time like two months ago at this point and we you know things happen so yesterday we planned to meet somewhere she gives me a call she's like guess what it's a private event at that place so we got to meet somewhere else so we have to meet somewhere else so my mind is like beforehand I was like you know what I want to buy her flowers and I don't want it to come off like I'm trying to get with her or anything like that but I think for one it'd be funny and it's a cool gesture so i ran into kroger when i went in there premeditated was the red roses but then i looked to my right and i saw these pink roses and they screamed pick me so i grabbed one more time pick me yes all 12 of them said it one more time all 12 of them said yeah pick me so i picked them pay for them shout out to old lady debbie at the self-checkout um and uh so when so i saw this beautiful woman walk into the place that we went to then i googled her because i had no idea what she looked like then i caught her i'm like did you just walk in she was like yeah i just walked i was like all right i'm about to be in there in a second so i grabbed my roses put them behind my back when i walked through the double doors she's there and i'm like tanya she sticks her hands out to hug me and I whip the roses around to prevent her from hugging me so as her roses me sandwiched in and I provide him and she's like oh my god how did you know it's my favorite color wait no no no I promise you oh my god I was like I knew something said go pink over red and it worked out and I left the sticker on there because you just gotta let him wait wait you left this way you left like the price tag I left the price for one she got more money than me anyway so it ain't like I'm trying

00:08:41 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 2:

to impress her wait how why would you leave the price tag on there one she got more money than me

00:08:48 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 1:

so it ain't like i'm trying to impress her yeah two sometimes you just gotta let her know it ain't that deep oh my god it's kind of like a little mind thing like it's all good we just wow oh gosh

00:08:58 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 2:

okay so here's my here's my question could you see yourself and i'm not just saying tanya because i don't know what tanya's you know relationship status is i know her late husband was rich one of the greatest guys ever uh rest rest in peace we love you so much and i know that that will be the love of her life forever but could you see yourself dating a beautiful woman like that um hell yeah i think i could man to be honest with you

00:09:25 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 1:

yeah and to your point could you date older i don't know how old tanya is first off tanya is very attractive yeah and she has intelligence and not only like you know from a book perspective but from an emotional perspective and the conversations we had like we ran the gamut bro we talked about everything spin the wheel we were talking about wow we got deep we got personal and yeah i think i could date an older woman because i've noticed there's a pattern here

00:09:52 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

because remember we went out with judge uh vicky valentine you were you know and then now tanya

00:09:59 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Well, I'm sorry, big guy.

00:10:00 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 4:

sexual energy and they know what they're doing i joke all the time about like oh oh go ahead

00:10:05 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 2:

to finish it i got a surprise for then afterwards no i just look no go you joked about what

00:10:10 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 4:

looking first yeah keep going keep going yeah he thinks he's funny now i was just waiting to do it looking for a sugar daddy uh all of the time and like oh i just want somebody's money and yada And don't get me wrong. Is that a benefit? It would be wrong to say no. But I do think it is more fun, like, hanging out with people who just kind of are like, they know what they're doing.

00:10:35 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah. You get not only, you know, the physical beauty, but you get the emotional, you know. Yeah, it's stimulating on different levels. Ladies and gentlemen, Tanya Lalani is our birthday.

00:10:48 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 5:

You know it. Good morning, my love.

00:10:51 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 1:

Good morning, Kev. How are you?

00:10:55 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Tanya, let me ask you a question.

00:10:57 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 5:

Good morning.

00:10:59 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to ask you a question. Tanya, I got a dozen free roses here from rosesbloom.com. Who would you send your roses to?

00:11:07 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 1:

I would definitely have to reciprocate because I had some beautiful pink roses that matched all of my decorations perfectly. So it was a good call.

00:11:17 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 2:

What did you think of Kev? That was your first time with Kev meeting Kev face to face.

00:11:22 - 00:11:32 | Speaker 1:

Kev is amazing. Kevin's an amazing, he's an amazing person to sit and conversate with for sure. That's cool. Very sweet, very knowledgeable, very smart.

00:11:32 - 00:11:32 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:11:32 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 3:

Very demure, very mindful. I feel the same about you, Tanya.

00:11:37 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 2:

He called me yesterday afterwards, and he sent then pictures to the group chat, and he just said, he goes, this is one of the coolest ladies ever. And he said, Tanya's got to come in studio sometime between now and before Jingle Ball Tuesday so you can come hang out with us in our new studio. We have not seen you yet in our studio. So this one here. So look at your calendar, and if you can, let us know, okay?

00:11:59 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 1:

Okay, you guys. I'll let you know.

00:12:01 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 2:

We love you. We'll see you definitely at Jingle Ball, giving away that 2024 Kia Telluride. It's going to be gorgeous.

00:12:07 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 1:

I'm excited to give away that Telluride mojo.

00:12:11 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Let me ask you.

00:12:11 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 1:

I know we couldn't get it in. Go ahead.

00:12:13 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 2:

No, I don't know what you're going to say. You don't have it in? What are you going to say?

00:12:19 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 1:

That we can't put it inside the arena.

00:12:21 - 00:12:25 | Speaker 2:

Oh, the Little Caesars people won't let us bring the car in the arena?

00:12:26 - 00:12:31 | Speaker 1:

No, so I was going to try to get a life-size one made, and it costs almost as much as the car.

00:12:31 - 00:12:37 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my. No, you know what? That's okay. Why don't we do that? Maybe we'll video cam or something from the LCA parking lot.

00:12:38 - 00:12:38 | Speaker 3:

We can film it beforehand.

00:12:38 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, we'll figure something out. It's such a great car. Everybody knows what those Tellurides look like. They're so gorgeous. You need a Telluride to drive this morning. The roads are so crazy.

00:12:48 - 00:12:51 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my goodness. So we are going to have it over at your studio.

00:12:52 - 00:12:53 | Speaker 2:

Awesome. Awesome.

00:12:53 - 00:12:54 | Speaker 1:

So that'll be cool.

00:12:54 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, you can actually drive it right in here. Yeah. At the new studios, we have this, like, crazy huge garage door area that you can just drive it right up in.

00:13:01 - 00:13:02 | Speaker 1:

Maybe that's what we do.

00:13:02 - 00:13:02 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:13:02 - 00:13:06 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that'd be cool. I think that's where we're going to put it, guys.

00:13:06 - 00:13:15 | Speaker 2:

Tanya, we love you so much. And Kevin said that, seriously, one of the coolest moments that he had was hanging out with you yesterday. So that's cool. Who paid the bill, Kevin?

00:13:16 - 00:13:22 | Speaker 1:

That's amazing. Tanya. Kevin snuck away and paid the bill because I was going to pay it when he got up to leave the table.

00:13:22 - 00:13:39 | Speaker 3:

Let me tell you, bro. So I had to. And she said he already paid. Waitress came through. I got up, act like I needed to use the bathroom. I'm like, where the bathroom at? She started pointing to me. I'm like, no, like, show me. So when she showed me, that's how I paid the bill. But Tanya was amazing because she was going to pay it while I was at the restroom. But I beat her to it.

00:13:39 - 00:13:43 | Speaker 2:

Good for you. Good. Tanya, we'll talk to you soon. Thanks for getting up early with us. We love you.

00:13:43 - 00:13:46 | Speaker 1:

All right, guys. It's always a pleasure. Be safe. Love you, Tanya.

00:13:46 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 2:

Are you in Auburn Hills today, or where are you?

00:13:49 - 00:13:50 | Speaker 1:

I'm in Auburn Hills today.

00:13:50 - 00:13:51 | Speaker 2:

Okay, go see Tanya.

00:13:51 - 00:13:52 | Speaker 1:

I'm at Westview of Auburn Hills.

00:13:52 - 00:13:53 | Speaker 2:

We love you. Talk to you soon.

00:13:54 - 00:13:55 | Speaker 1:

Thanks, guys.

00:13:55 - 00:13:59 | Speaker 2:

All right. Kev's got the moves, man. Love Tanya. He's dangerous.

00:13:59 - 00:14:04 | Speaker 5:

Look at that smile on your face. What were the roses saying again? Tanya makes me smile. One more time.

00:14:04 - 00:14:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, how much were the roses on the price tag? You left the freaking price tag on me. It's Mojo in the Mornings, back in the day. Let's go! Back in the day. What year did this stuff happen? Hey, I want to talk to some of these people on the roads too, Lydia. So keep them on hold. I want to hear how the roads are. Call us up, 844-MOJO-LIVE. I know from east to west, from Toledo all the way to Grand Rapids. It is crazy. Here you go, three clues. What year was this for Justin Timberlake tickets? It was the year that Justin Timberlake exposed Janet Jackson's breasts at the Super Bowl.

00:14:38 - 00:14:52 | Speaker 1:

What people don't understand is he was to take and rip the piece off that he did. The letter piece. Right, but more came off than what was supposed to. So he was supposed to pull that off and we'd just see the red there.

00:14:52 - 00:14:53 | Speaker 2:

White Chicks was the big movie.

00:14:53 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh my God, you want to talk about love. Oh my God. You want to talk.

00:15:00 - 00:15:11 | Speaker 3:

Your mother is so dumb. She went to Dr. Dre for a pap smear. Something's wrong, Dr. Dre. My coach is doing a peepop.

00:15:12 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 4:

And the big song was from Ashley Simpson. Pieces of me. What year was this for Justin Timberlake tickets?

00:15:26 - 00:15:33 | Speaker 5:

You're smart. Prove it. You remember the year the stuff happened. 844-MOJO-LIVE.

00:15:34 - 00:15:56 | Speaker 4:

Today's forecast is, holy crap, I can't feel my face. This is Mojo in the Morning. It's Mojo in the Morning's back in the day. What year was this?

00:16:07 - 00:16:16 | Speaker 4:

We're going back, and we're doing it. Obviously, Justin Timberlake tickets are your prize. This was the year that Justin and Janet did the Super Bowl halftime, and Justin got himself into a little bit of trouble.

00:16:16 - 00:16:29 | Speaker 1:

What people don't understand is he was to take and rip the piece off that he did. The letter piece. Right. But more came off than what was supposed to. So he was supposed to pull that off, and we'd just see the red.

00:16:30 - 00:16:34 | Speaker 4:

White Chicks was the movie at theaters. You want to talk about mother.

00:16:35 - 00:16:45 | Speaker 3:

You want to talk about mother. It's mother time. Okay, your mother's so dumb. She went to Dr. Dre for a pap smear.

00:16:46 - 00:16:51 | Speaker 4:

And the big song. From Ashley Simpson.

00:16:52 - 00:16:55 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Because I love it, you guys.

00:16:55 - 00:16:56 | Speaker 4:

You love this song?

00:16:56 - 00:16:58 | Speaker 2:

Sorry, I love Ashley Simpson. Really?

00:16:58 - 00:17:03 | Speaker 4:

The first time we played it. Probably writing the 5 at 6.55. I thought y'all was going to get hype.

00:17:03 - 00:17:11 | Speaker 2:

It was creaky. So I was like, okay. Why didn't Shannon sound just like Shani's granny? Yeah! That's a compliment.

00:17:12 - 00:17:12 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:17:14 - 00:17:14 | Speaker 2:

Yeah!

00:17:16 - 00:17:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah!

00:17:17 - 00:17:19 | Speaker 4:

What year was that, Deanna?

00:17:21 - 00:17:23 | Speaker 3:

2004. Yeah!

00:17:23 - 00:17:37 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:18:24 - 00:18:51 | Speaker 4:

All right, a lot of stuff to do this morning. Be very careful as you are driving to take the kids to school or going to work. I will say this, that there are some school closings. What? Yeah, there's a couple of districts that I think the cold is what they're most worried about, not so much the travel. So go check those out. You can go check us out on our social media. Follow us at Mojo on the Morn. Shannon's going to do the dirty on the 30 for us. What's up, Shannon?

00:18:51 - 00:19:18 | Speaker 2:

They were talking about Tay Voodoo on the New Heights podcast yesterday. Travis Kelsey is setting down his brother Jason for alluding to that fan-driven Tay Voodoo theory. The term, by the way, if you haven't heard this yet, has been used to describe the coincidental successes of Tay and Trav, as they call themselves. leading some to believe that she has, like, supernatural powers or she's just a really, really good luck charm.

00:19:18 - 00:19:31 | Speaker 5:

I kind of feel like you guys are the angels in the outfield. Are the angels in the outfield? There's some unknown, like... Here you go with this f***ing Tay Voodoo s***.

00:19:33 - 00:19:37 | Speaker 2:

I love his laugh. So do I. Tay Voodoo.

00:19:37 - 00:19:45 | Speaker 4:

I love the story that you're going to do later this morning that lydia got from the fan club friends oh my god i might as well just do it now because okay

00:19:45 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 2:

but you're we're talking about it but you know her her last couple of eras shows are happening um this weekend and there are there i'll do a bigger version of the story later but there are a lot of swifties freaking out because

00:20:00 - 00:20:09 | Speaker 1:

Um, American Swifties who have DUIs are just now realizing that they probably can't get into Canada because of their records, right?

00:20:09 - 00:20:15 | Speaker 6:

A felony won't allow you to get across the border. A felony. Yeah. You could be charged with felony for a DUI.

00:20:15 - 00:20:34 | Speaker 1:

So yeah, I mean, it's, it's a quote unquote legal issue, right? Which may prevent you from crossing into the country. So there are, there are Swifties now who are like, I will buy anybody's tickets who has a DUI and doesn't think that they can come to Vancouver. By the way, TicketFixPro.com can get

00:20:34 - 00:20:39 | Speaker 6:

you out of that felony. Go to TicketFixPro.com and let them handle everything. They've done it

00:20:39 - 00:21:10 | Speaker 1:

for some of my friends. Kevin, yesterday you were talking about how you and Sherelle are no longer together, but you still share a bed. Or maybe it was the day before yesterday. I can't remember. All the days are blurring together at this point. Well, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy revealed that he still shares his bank account with his estranged wife. Portnoy split from Renee back in 2017, but they never formally got divorced, and he admitted he still lets her have access to his $250 million fortune whenever she wants.

00:21:10 - 00:21:32 | Speaker 3:

She's not like, give me half. And we've been separated legally for a long time. The judge said our agreement wasn't equitable to her. They're like, he's worth a lot more. You have to give half. She's like, I want half. Wow. We pretty much agreed on how we do it. So we're going to do it in Florida. But we've had that joint bank account. And it, so forever. Like, I trust her implicitly.

00:21:32 - 00:21:45 | Speaker 1:

And he basically said we met when Barstool was nothing. So she rode the grind up, you know, with everybody. She was with me every step of the way. And so he said in my mind, she is entitled to enjoy the fruits of it. Question.

00:21:45 - 00:21:50 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, go on. Who gets the Kroger rewards number? You or Sherelle?

00:21:51 - 00:21:52 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I use hers.

00:21:52 - 00:21:54 | Speaker 6:

Okay, well, you're a dog.

00:21:54 - 00:22:14 | Speaker 5:

She got like an employee discount, too, so we be getting a lot off. That's neither here nor there. I thought, and I don't know if my thoughts were true at a certain point in time, and he's just changed, but for some reason, I thought that Dave Portnoy had this image of being like this trashy-ass frat dude. I mean, he does. But I'm saying, like, lately, I feel like he's like a great guy.

00:22:15 - 00:22:32 | Speaker 6:

Well, also, well, lately, how about during COVID when he kept businesses open by basically giving them money, restaurants, giving them money to keep them open. And then, I mean, obviously, he's a little brash. Can you imagine being married to him? I can't imagine any woman. I just can't imagine a guy like that staying faithful.

00:22:32 - 00:22:43 | Speaker 2:

No, but I'm also so curious why their divorce agreement wasn't hashed out. Like, if she's entitled to all of his money, like you just said, why not then just settle the divorce?

00:22:43 - 00:22:49 | Speaker 6:

But he's, as Shannon said, he's not really entitled to a lot of the barstool stuff because they got divorced before Barstool became big.

00:22:49 - 00:23:01 | Speaker 2:

No, that's the problem is the deal the judge denied because it wasn't fair to her. She was entitled to more. But now you give her access to everything and that's fine. Why not just settle it?

00:23:01 - 00:23:06 | Speaker 1:

He said she doesn't really touch it. I don't know. So maybe he's thinking if we leave it this way.

00:23:06 - 00:23:07 | Speaker 2:

I get to keep more.

00:23:07 - 00:23:08 | Speaker 1:

Exactly.

00:23:08 - 00:23:10 | Speaker 2:

I don't think it's as wholehearted as you guys think.

00:23:12 - 00:23:44 | Speaker 1:

TikTok revealed its top trends of the year, including influencer Jules LeBron's very demure, very mindful catchphrase in baby animals like Mudang the hippo. Demure was actually the 2024 word of the year by dictionary.com. Other top trends on TikTok, the Charlie XCX inspired brat summer, Mudang the hippo I mentioned from Thailand and Pesto the oversized king penguin from Australia made this year's list. For all of today's dirty, you can catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or Mojo in the morning.

00:24:14 - 00:24:16 | Speaker 6:

That's cool. Who are you bringing with?

00:24:17 - 00:24:18 | Speaker 4:

00:24:28 - 00:24:29 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to hang on.

00:24:29 - 00:24:36 | Speaker 6:

Oh, you know. Okay. I can't... I'm like hearing things in, like, sentence... Like, quick, like, in. Everybody stopped.

00:24:36 - 00:24:38 | Speaker 2:

What did you do last night? Yeah, are you okay?

00:24:38 - 00:24:43 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I'm fine. Everybody stops when I talk for some reason. Maybe that's...

00:24:43 - 00:24:44 | Speaker 4:

That's called listening.

00:24:44 - 00:24:46 | Speaker 6:

Is that what it is? It is. Oh, okay.

00:24:47 - 00:24:49 | Speaker 4:

Well, Joe, everybody pays attention when you talk.

00:24:49 - 00:24:54 | Speaker 6:

You're the man. I appreciate you. Hold on one second. When we come back here next, the 5 at 655.

00:24:56 - 00:24:58 | Speaker 4:

00:25:26 - 00:25:43 | Speaker 2:

All right, Dallas is back for another win, possibly, today. Let's see what happens. Going for your seventh. I always feel like seven is a lucky number. I don't know how you feel about it, but today the person standing in your way is Chrissy from Westland, Michigan. What's up, Chrissy?

00:25:44 - 00:25:45 | Speaker 1:

Hi, good morning.

00:25:45 - 00:25:47 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. Dallas, say hey to Chrissy.

00:25:49 - 00:25:52 | Speaker 1:

Hello, Chrissy. Hi, good morning, Dallas.

00:25:52 - 00:26:20 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to lock up Dallas in a soundproof area. Dallas, what do you guys do when you're in that soundproof area? I've always wondered. Yesterday we were talking about Taylor Swift. Really? So it's you and Lydia just kind of sitting there chit-chatting, huh? Yep. All right, let's do it. Here you go. Oh, my God, I keep doing it. I'm telling you, I think there's something in the studio. There's like some kind of a weird voodoo or something. Are you saying there's some bad mojo? I think there might be some, like Shannon just said, hey, voodoo.

00:26:20 - 00:26:21 | Speaker 1:

Although that's a good thing.

00:26:21 - 00:26:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Oh, really? All right, here we go. Five pop culture trivia questions. Whoever gets the most right wins, Ty always goes to the champion. Speaking of that, Jason Kelsey was joking about the Tay Voodoo theory, the theory about the coincidental successes of Travis and Taylor, although Taylor's been successful, and so has Travis. What's the brother's popular podcast called? The podcast that Jason does with his brother, Travis.

00:26:52 - 00:26:57 | Speaker 1:

Oh, shoot, I know you guys. Just talking about that, and I got a phone call. I have to pass.

00:26:57 - 00:27:06 | Speaker 2:

Pass on that one. Question number two. This brat singer was diagnosed with nerve damage in her neck. Who is she?

00:27:07 - 00:27:09 | Speaker 1:

Charlie F.D.X.

00:27:09 - 00:27:21 | Speaker 2:

Question number three. Nick Lachey made a rare comment about his first wife saying that he still has scars from that relationship. Who was he first married to?

00:27:22 - 00:27:24 | Speaker 1:

That is Jessica Simpson.

00:27:25 - 00:27:37 | Speaker 2:

Question number four. This past Monday was the biggest shopping day in history, with consumers taking advantage of all sorts of online deals. What's that particular shopping day nicknamed?

00:27:39 - 00:27:40 | Speaker 1:

Black Friday.

00:27:41 - 00:28:00 | Speaker 2:

And question number five. In the famous How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Dr. Seuss describes the Grinch's heart as having how many sizes too small? A, 2, B, 5, or C, 10?

00:28:02 - 00:28:03 | Speaker 1:

B.

00:28:04 - 00:28:07 | Speaker 2:

Let's bring the champ back from a soundproof area.

00:28:07 - 00:28:09 | Speaker 1:

Oh, man, you only got two out of five.

00:28:10 - 00:28:10 | Speaker 2:

Ah, man.

00:28:10 - 00:28:11 | Speaker 1:

Oh, darn.

00:28:11 - 00:28:14 | Speaker 2:

That phone call, I think, might have cost you a little bit.

00:28:14 - 00:28:16 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you got that. Come look at him.

00:28:16 - 00:28:32 | Speaker 2:

All right. Dallas, here we go for your seventh win in a row. Jason Kelsey was joking about the Tay voodoo theory, the theory about the coincidental successes of Travis and Taylor. What's the Brothers podcast called?

00:28:33 - 00:28:33 | Speaker 1:

New Heights.

00:28:34 - 00:28:34 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

00:28:35 - 00:28:36 | Speaker 1:

One to nothing. What did she say?

00:28:36 - 00:28:49 | Speaker 2:

New Heights. What did you think she said? Something different. Go ahead. Question number two. This brat singer was just diagnosed with nerve damage in her neck. Who is she?

00:28:50 - 00:28:52 | Speaker 1:

Charlie XCX.

00:28:53 - 00:28:53 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

00:28:54 - 00:28:54 | Speaker 1:

Two to one.

00:28:54 - 00:29:10 | Speaker 2:

Question number three. Nick Lachey made a rare comment about his first wife, saying that he still has scars from that relationship. Who was his first wife? Nancy. Jessica Simpson? Yes.

00:29:10 - 00:29:11 | Speaker 1:

Three to two. Wow.

00:29:11 - 00:29:23 | Speaker 2:

Question number four, this past Monday was the biggest shopping day in history with consumers taking advantage of all sorts of online deals. What's that particular shopping day nicknamed?

00:29:24 - 00:29:27 | Speaker 1:

Cyber Monday? There we go, 42.

00:29:27 - 00:29:59 | Speaker 2:

Got confused there, Chrissy. And question number five, in the famous How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Dr. Seuss described, oh, jeez, hold on. I'm telling you there's crazy stuff going on in this video. What is happening? Dr. Seuss describes the Grinch's heart as how many sizes too small? A, 2, B, 5, or C, 10? Uh, 5? No. Both of you guys missed that one. It is 2. Final score.

00:30:00 - 00:30:01 | Speaker 4:

There you go.

00:30:02 - 00:30:03 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Yeah.

00:30:04 - 00:30:05 | Speaker 4:

We've done it again.

00:30:06 - 00:30:25 | Speaker 5:

We're going to reboot. Congratulations, Dallas. You have just won your seventh in a row. You're inching closer to double digits. Oh, boy. Let's see what happens. Back tomorrow for another round. What did you guys talk about today? What did you and Lydia talk about today?

00:30:27 - 00:30:29 | Speaker 1:

Taylor Swift in the Top Dog Law commercial.

00:30:29 - 00:30:37 | Speaker 5:

Hey, we got a gift card to Kroger for you. Congratulations to you, Chrissy. Enjoy that, all right?

00:30:37 - 00:30:42 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. I'm a first-time long-time. We love you.

00:30:43 - 00:30:47 | Speaker 5:

We wish everybody a Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas. Have a great day.

00:30:47 - 00:30:50 | Speaker 6:

It's Mojo in the mornings 5 and 6.55. We love you.

00:30:50 - 00:30:51 | Speaker 5:

Hold on one second.

00:30:52 - 00:31:05 | Speaker 6:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations, one stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning live.

00:31:07 - 00:31:53 | Speaker 5:

Good morning and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning show. Got a great show for you today. War of the Roses in seconds. We will get to that. Plus, this morning we're going to be giving you Lions tickets. If you want to go to the game tonight, how would you like to win a $1,000 StubHub gift card so that you can go make a purchase of tickets to Thursday Night Football. All you have to do is be listening between now and 8.30. So that's not crazy to ask for, right? Now and 8.30 for a chance to win. And it's all brought to you by Zod Ford and Papa Romano's. So make sure that you're listening coming up between now and 8.30. And I will tell you this, it could happen even during the War of the Roses. What are you typing away over there?

00:31:53 - 00:31:54 | Speaker 3:

I'm like, yeah, dirty.

00:31:55 - 00:31:56 | Speaker 5:

Is that a big story? Is that a good one?

00:31:56 - 00:32:00 | Speaker 3:

They're all good ones today. Today's a good dirty day. Sometimes, though, you have. There's a lot of stuff.

00:32:00 - 00:32:04 | Speaker 5:

Sometimes you have angry type, though. So I'm like, uh-oh, you're not.

00:32:04 - 00:32:10 | Speaker 3:

It's funny. I normally will hear it in my headphones and, like, stop typing so hard. I'm not hearing it. So you must have very sensitive ears today.

00:32:10 - 00:32:21 | Speaker 5:

No. Well, and also, I can see you now. Before in the past, I could never see you now with this new studio. But when I see you pushing down on the thing, sometimes it's like, you know how sometimes you'll.

00:32:21 - 00:32:22 | Speaker 3:

I just go fast.

00:32:22 - 00:32:27 | Speaker 5:

And sometimes I wonder, I'm like, uh-oh, did she just get a text message? You know, something like, what's going on?

00:32:27 - 00:32:31 | Speaker 3:

From a certain someone. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.

00:32:31 - 00:32:37 | Speaker 5:

All right. War of the Roses, if you think that you're being cheated on, text cheater to 95500.

00:32:37 - 00:32:43 | Speaker 7:

Catching cheaters. And proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

00:32:43 - 00:32:48 | Speaker 5:

Allie thinks her boyfriend is cheating on her. Allie, why is that?

00:32:49 - 00:32:55 | Speaker 1:

It's just, there's just been so many weird things. That have been happening, and I have no way of explaining it.

00:32:55 - 00:32:57 | Speaker 5:

What are some of the weird things?

00:32:58 - 00:33:11 | Speaker 1:

He's the type of guy that's always working. He has so much stuff in his car, and now his car is just always clean. It smells good now. It doesn't make sense.

00:33:11 - 00:33:24 | Speaker 5:

He's always been kind of messy. He's in his car, works in his car, and now his car is clean, so suddenly he's focused on that, which is interesting because we always hear stories about people cleaning themselves up when they are starting to date.

00:33:25 - 00:33:25 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:33:26 - 00:33:28 | Speaker 5:

And what was the other thing that you were going to say?

00:33:29 - 00:33:46 | Speaker 1:

I might sound just like so, you know, silly, but I have access to his Netflix account, and there's a lot of random movies on there that are half-watched. And these are movies he would never watch, and they're all on there.

00:33:47 - 00:34:01 | Speaker 2:

Now, I know a lot of guys that get into the spirit this time of year and love a good cheesy movie. Could he just be one of those guys? No, he's really not. My only other question then.

00:34:02 - 00:34:05 | Speaker 5:

By the way, you're very sexy with your voice right now. I don't know.

00:34:05 - 00:34:06 | Speaker 2:

She's calm.

00:34:06 - 00:34:07 | Speaker 5:

Oh, okay.

00:34:07 - 00:34:22 | Speaker 2:

She's calming me out. The only other question that I have then is some people start therapy, get their life in order. As he started therapy, is that why his car is clean? No, nothing has changed.

00:34:22 - 00:34:26 | Speaker 5:

Are we speaking from experience on that? Absolutely speaking from experience on that one.

00:34:26 - 00:34:37 | Speaker 3:

But I can see where, like, all the things start to, like, pile on and your, you know, your spidey senses go up. I completely get that. One is not suspicious.

00:34:37 - 00:34:39 | Speaker 2:

All of these together. Yeah.

00:34:39 - 00:34:40 | Speaker 5:

That's weird.

00:34:42 - 00:34:52 | Speaker 4:

You don't think so, Kev? It's all sounding ridiculous to me, but I'm not trying to be that guy. I mean, I ain't in a relationship. She got a hunch, she's got a hunch. Just because the old boy cleaned his car out.

00:34:52 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 3:

But when you know your person, do you know what I mean? And they start to do really different things, like the movies and the car. I don't know.

00:35:00 - 00:35:07 | Speaker 2:

My car is filthy, and sometimes you get those moments you look around, you'd be like, why am I living like this? Maybe he could have just had that moment.

00:35:08 - 00:35:10 | Speaker 1:

Maybe, but then like three days later it goes back.

00:35:11 - 00:35:23 | Speaker 2:

We're going to do a War of the Roses, and we're going to see where he sends a dozen free roses. Can you mute your phone so that we can call him and not have him feel like somebody else is on the phone line?

00:35:25 - 00:35:25 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:35:26 - 00:35:28 | Speaker 2:

All right, we're hoping that the roses go to Allie.

00:35:30 - 00:36:03 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Do you have anybody that you'd want to send flowers to?

00:38:09 - 00:38:09 | Speaker 3:

00:39:26 - 00:39:48 | Speaker 3:

uh hey babe uh hope you are having a great day um EXO.

00:39:48 - 00:39:58 | Speaker 1:

Is that it? Is that it? Do you want to record it again or was that good?

00:39:58 - 00:40:00 | Speaker 3:

That's, I mean...

00:40:00 - 00:40:02 | Speaker 2:

Do you want me to record it again? Is that not good?

00:40:08 - 00:40:08 | Unknown:

No.

00:40:09 - 00:40:23 | Speaker 5:

No, that was great. I do have to let you know that this... Guys, sorry. I do have to let you know... I do have to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality... Hang on, I need a minute.

00:40:27 - 00:40:38 | Speaker 3:

Excuse me? Spencer? Hello? Spencer, I'm going to jump on here just to wrap up everything because we're having a little technical issue.

00:40:39 - 00:40:40 | Speaker 2:

Uh-huh.

00:40:40 - 00:40:52 | Speaker 3:

But I just want to let you know that before you go any further, I want to let you know that your girlfriend, Allie, is on the phone and just heard you send flowers to another girl.

00:40:54 - 00:41:07 | Speaker 2:

Before I go any further, what do you mean before I go any further? I thought we were, I don't understand. Can you tell me who this girl is? What?

00:41:09 - 00:41:22 | Speaker 3:

Spencer, Allie was worried that something was going on, that you were cheating on her. Who's this girl that you're sending flowers to? A friend.

00:41:24 - 00:41:38 | Speaker 5:

Why would you send them to a friend instead of your girlfriend, Allie? Spencer

00:41:38 - 00:42:07 | Speaker 3:

He hung up the phone You heard his feelings I agree Allie, I have no idea What you're doing And I feel horrible for you Allie I'm going to have you hang here for one second and we're going to figure out something. Hold on. This is the home of the war of the roses.

00:42:07 - 00:42:08 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the morning.

00:42:16 - 00:42:48 | Speaker 5:

I do have to let you know that this guy is sorry. I do have to let you know. I do have to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality. Hang on. what was going on it was crazy he was just such a i don't want to be mean such an interesting personality and i could and i and i kept looking at you megan and you were laughing and i was just making it worse because i'll say it just never happens you're too nice that kid was an idiot

00:42:48 - 00:42:54 | Speaker 4:

He threw me really off

00:42:54 - 00:42:57 | Speaker 3:

The video of this will be priceless To see up on TikTok

00:42:57 - 00:42:59 | Speaker 4:

You are high as a f***ing kite

00:42:59 - 00:43:09 | Speaker 3:

I don't know what it was but it was interesting George wore the roses Just a few moments ago Allie heard her boyfriend Spencer Sending flowers to some girl named Britt What did you want to say?

00:43:11 - 00:43:21 | Speaker 1:

That guy was driving me nuts I almost wanted to drive off the road on purpose I kept thinking to myself If you guys don't cut that poor guy off, we could be out of here until lunch. I know.

00:43:22 - 00:43:26 | Speaker 5:

And then I was like, can he hear me? Is that the issue? Or what is going on?

00:43:27 - 00:43:28 | Speaker 1:

Although I will say. Oh, my gosh.

00:43:28 - 00:43:41 | Speaker 3:

I'll tell you, some of the responses that he was saying, though, actually were interesting. Like when you were asking, trying to give him the legal work, he's like, huh, why? What's going on?

00:43:41 - 00:43:45 | Speaker 5:

It felt like he hadn't spoken to a human being in years.

00:43:46 - 00:43:54 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Well, I can hear Shannon starting to giggle, and then I can hear Megan giggling in the background and saying, this whole thing's falling apart. It is. You gotta get off.

00:43:54 - 00:43:54 | Speaker 4:

It is.

00:43:55 - 00:43:59 | Speaker 3:

Misfit Nicole, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. What's happening, Nicole? Hi.

00:43:59 - 00:44:01 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, everybody. Good morning.

00:44:02 - 00:44:04 | Speaker 3:

What's that? What did you want to say about this?

00:44:05 - 00:44:07 | Speaker 4:

I told Lydia. I asked. I'm like, was he happy?

00:44:08 - 00:44:08 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:44:08 - 00:44:15 | Speaker 4:

Like, that was the hardest war of roses to listen to. I was yelling at my radio the whole time.

00:44:16 - 00:44:43 | Speaker 3:

We were trying to talk to Allie afterwards, like, Allie, is this normal? And she was saying sometimes it is, but sometimes it's not. But she feels like he's changed a ton lately. And somebody needs to explain this to me. When you do, and I'm not saying he's under the influence of anything because I can get sued for that. But when you do dabble, when you do dabble, does it change, like, your cleaning? Like, because that was the thing. She wanted to know about it. Like, do you suddenly become, like, a chronic cleaner? Because if that's the case, maybe I need to.

00:44:43 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 4:

Here's the thing. Because I dabble in recreation, right? Yeah. But it don't make you move fast. It make you move slow like a turtle unless he was on some speed or some math. And he wasn't giving that energy. I don't know. You could. I know. You could have your bullets.

00:45:00 - 00:45:23 | Speaker 3:

i know some people don't worry about it yeah i'm telling you we're having a day i don't know what is happening today it feels like a total meltdown but i know some people that like if you dabble a little bit you're the most annoying person to be around in the entire world and for other people you were the best employee and you were super intensely focused on things so i maybe i mean i

00:45:23 - 00:45:35 | Speaker 2:

remember taking adderall and adderall made me like i cleaned everything i was i was the cleanest i've ever been what's up uh who do we have here now uh is this alia hey good morning good morning

00:45:35 - 00:45:48 | Speaker 6:

what's going on not much so i was thinking in my head if this girl is only a friend which is what he told his girlfriend why would he call her babe in that little memo yeah yeah this is not just a

00:45:48 - 00:45:54 | Speaker 2:

friend yeah this is there's something there's something more going on there you got a great Great point with that.

00:45:55 - 00:45:59 | Speaker 6:

And, like, waiting for a call at 7 in the morning, that's also very suspicious.

00:46:00 - 00:46:11 | Speaker 2:

Well, we do the War of the Roses does happen, though, at a different time because we have to pre-tape these things. Thank God. Yeah, so it does. I can't see in this case. But it's not like it was late. What's up, Erica? Hi.

00:46:13 - 00:46:26 | Speaker 4:

Hey, what got me was when Mojo whispered, I said, this show has officially gone off the rails. the neurodivergent in me was like if he doesn't speak up and answer these questions

All right, we're going to give you a chance right now to win Jingle Ball tickets. I haven't looked at the forecast for Jingle Ball, but I did see that we're going to be cold for the next couple of days. They said that by Sunday. Oh, look at this. By Sunday and Monday, we could be near 50 degrees. So it may be nicer for Jingle Ball next week on Tuesday because everybody wants to wear like the nice outfits and nobody wants to bring a coat into Little Caesars Arena. It's like the worst feeling ever. The forecast calls for vibes. Okay. Hey! Mojo Live, 844-665-6548. Get your tickets so that you can be at our Jingle Ball.

00:48:30 - 00:48:33 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:48:33 - 00:48:38 | Speaker 2:

All right, we're going to get you caught up on what's trending this morning in the Dirty on the 30. Shannon, good morning.

00:48:38 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. So this murder in New York City yesterday, Brian Thompson, the CEO of insurance giant United Health Care, shot in the chest outside of the fancy Hilton Midtown Hotel in what police are calling a targeted attack. So his killer used a firearm with a silencer firing at Thompson multiple times, striking him right in the back and then also in his right calf before fleeing the scene on foot. I mean, he just blended in with the rest of the pedestrians right there, except he was wearing a mask, but ran into Central Park where he hopped on an e-bike. He is still at large. Now, Thompson was named CEO of UnitedHealth back in 2021. He had been with the company for like 20 plus years. Worthy to note, he was one of several senior executives at UnitedHealthcare that were under investigation for insider trading. I know his wife came out a couple of hours ago and said that her husband had been getting threats before he was killed. So this guy's from Minnesota, flies into New York City for this, like, conference of sorts that they're having. And this happens at 645 yesterday morning. And the NYPD is investigating a possible message, which appears to include the words deny, depose, and defend. And those words were engraved on live rounds.

00:50:00 - 00:50:14 | Speaker 4:

and shell casings that were found at the scene which to me just i mean this whole thing is just very fishy this is nypd commissioner jessica tish speaking every indication is that this was

00:50:14 - 00:50:21 | Speaker 1:

a premeditated pre-planned targeted attack you know what's weird about the whole thing is here's

00:50:21 - 00:50:49 | Speaker 2:

a guy who's in charge of one of the biggest companies in our country united healthcare biggest healthcare company guys making 10 plus million dollars a year just base salary so the guys loaded how is that guy not have security or even have the driver that drives him right into the area where he goes like he was walking the sidewalk in front of the hotel that they were doing this thing from minnesota bro he a regular dude no dan gilbert is a regular dude dan gilbert

00:50:49 - 00:51:00 | Speaker 3:

has security and has teams but i feel like dan is way more famous than this guy he was also famous for the LeBron situation when LeBron left and his comments on him. Like, he's way more in a public eye than this guy.

00:51:00 - 00:51:04 | Speaker 2:

Kev, this guy, no. See, I think... Okay, how many people

00:51:04 - 00:51:05 | Speaker 3:

knew what this guy looked like

00:51:05 - 00:51:10 | Speaker 4:

and knew his name before he answered the house? You don't unless you have an issue with him. Exactly. But that's the problem.

00:51:10 - 00:51:24 | Speaker 2:

This guy is, it's like the CEO of Chase. Do you know what Jamie Dimon looks like? Nah. He is the biggest CEO in the country. You don't know what he looks like. No, never. He's got security and he's got teams. He's the biggest, most, he's like Elon Musk

00:51:24 - 00:51:32 | Speaker 4:

ish i get what you're saying kev but if you took issue with the ceo of taste you would you would study up on him you would know what he looked like and that's why those people have security

00:51:32 - 00:51:37 | Speaker 5:

but even to meet you guys both in the middle if the wife has come out and said he was receiving

00:51:37 - 00:51:43 | Speaker 3:

threats he should have security i don't think this was an everyday killing though i think that

00:51:43 - 00:52:05 | Speaker 2:

flat out i think that it's one of two things it's either the fact that he was part of this thing where he was going to go tell everybody yes who was doing wrongdoing as far as insider trading or whatever and that or it was somebody who's got denied and uh is upset because united health care denies more people than any of the other health care companies and i think it was

00:52:05 - 00:52:45 | Speaker 5:

somebody close to him is dying or did die and he's angry and here's why i think it's that and not the insider trading because if it's the insider trading part and it's one of the other very wealthy whatever people that is going to get called out in that deposition you hire hitman right they're not doing it themselves they hired somebody to do it and if you hired somebody to do it and you engrave the bullets or the shell casings with those words you're giving the police a huge clue in order to find you this to me comes off as pure crime of passion and that means they've been affected personally by his actions and i feel like it's going to be a death versus going to jail or

00:52:45 - 00:52:58 | Speaker 3:

you could throw him off the scent by making it look like it's a crime of passion i think he was about to snitch roll on some of the homies and they hired somebody to clip them i didn't know you can just buy silencers it's like james you know this is like james born crazy story never

00:52:58 - 00:53:21 | Speaker 2:

born james bond can i can i say one last one last thing with this it's amazing when you look at the if you watch some of the news clips all the new yorkers that are there though they're they all knew what this they said this guy was suspicious we knew he looked suspicious because it was a guy was so bundled up and the weather was not it today is crazy in new york cold wise but he looked like

00:53:21 - 00:54:23 | Speaker 4:

he was going out on a day like today that bro had a silencer on that thing that's deep all right influencer brecky hill reposted some tiktoks that allegedly confirmed that barry keegan cheated on sabrina carpenter with her this girl man she got mad rap i know you think she's really cute kev but we broke the story yesterday that sabrina and barry had broken up after a year of dating and there was a hair in the butter and that hair had a name and it was brekkie hill she kind of alluded to the fact that this little fling this little affair was happening on her social media a while ago for example she posted a photo of herself drinking a margarita while on a mystery date on november 18th and she wrote over the image kind of salty which everybody was like well that's a direct reference to barry's film salt burn yeah okay and then she also reposted a tiktok that Flat out said in the caption, trouble in paradise, it has been confirmed, Barry cheated on Sabrina with TikTok influencer Brecky Hill. I think that was from Dumas, and she reposted it. So, that's that.

00:54:23 - 00:54:33 | Speaker 5:

That to me is not as damning, because I'm going to be honest, if I'm a social media influencer and you say that I'm dating one of the biggest celebrities right now.

00:54:33 - 00:54:38 | Speaker 4:

But if it's false, you at least comment false. Okay, fair. Fair. Or I wish.

00:54:38 - 00:54:42 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Wrecky here with the side boob tag. Okay.

00:54:43 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 4:

One Direction was reportedly planning a comeback before Liam Bain's tragic death. All five original members, including Zayn Malik, who quit the band, had been in talks to do one last reunion show before Liam's fatal fall last month. And although...

00:55:00 - 00:56:12 | Speaker 1:

plans have been placed on placed on hold um i cannot talk right now a source of mine said a concert is still a possibility but it would take on an entirely different meaning for the group it would be a tribute so to liam and the guys were not that close before his death like they had kind of all went on to live their separate lives and separate careers but his death served as a wake-up call for Harry and Niall and Louis and Zane. They're all, you know, checking in on each other and are closer than they have been in years. So unfortunately, and this happens, his death kind of brought them all back together. And now we know that Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan is officially making a run for the governor's seat here in Michigan. He said he will run as an independent and not seek the Democratic nomination in 2026, which is interesting considering he is a longtime Democrat. In his thought, the mayor said his approach just didn't fit comfortably inside the dogma of either of the two main political parties. However, local fours Ty Steele and Devin Skillian were chatting about this yesterday and had this take.

00:56:13 - 00:56:56 | Speaker 2:

Sometimes it looks like while everybody else is playing political checkers, Mike Duggan is playing high lie. There's some strategy. There's a lot of strategy to this. And for starters, We've all, political junkies like me, have sort of been salivating over what looks to be this Battle of Titans, what we thought was going to be a Battle of Titans for the Democratic nomination for governor. Jocelyn Benson, Pete Buttigieg has been talked about. Big names. Perhaps Lieutenant Governor Garland Kilchrist, and maybe some others that we didn't know, and we expected Mike Duggan. Right. Run around the primary so that you don't have to run in that, spend all the money that it would take to be the Democratic nominee, and you're out there on your own while everybody else has been going through this internecine warfare. That's interesting.

00:56:56 - 00:56:59 | Speaker 4:

What's high life? That's what I was...

00:56:59 - 00:57:35 | Speaker 3:

I don't know, but Devin's a very smart man who just retired, so we no longer have him after the first year. I love Devin's going. They should keep him just doing political stuff. I think Mike Duggan did an amazing job with Detroit. And it'll be interesting if he should win the governor's race to see what he would do with Michigan. That Pete Buttigieg thing's interesting. I have not heard Pete Buttigieg wants to run for the governor of Michigan. I know that he has a place on the west side of the state in Traverse City, but that would be wild, huh? Yeah. Where are you going? He's a cabinet guy right now. Oh, yeah. Remember this guy? Mayor Pete.

00:57:37 - 00:57:42 | Speaker 1:

Hey, for all of today's ready, catch up on the podcast on the iHeartRadio app, or you can check out MojoInTheMorning.com.

00:58:16 - 00:58:19 | Speaker 4:

This is crazy. You guys, this is the first time I've ever gotten through.

00:58:19 - 00:58:21 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. Wait, so you're the first time? Long time.

00:58:22 - 00:58:36 | Speaker 4:

Gina's on the phone. And I was just talking to my best friend at work yesterday, and I'm like, dude, I've been trying to win these tickets so hard. She's like, me too. And I'm like, I'm going to give it one more shot this morning. I cannot believe this.

00:58:36 - 00:58:38 | Speaker 3:

Wait, so who is that again that you were talking to?

00:58:39 - 00:58:47 | Speaker 4:

My best friend at work. We both listen to the show every morning, and we talk about it at work. When we get there, it's hilarious.

00:58:47 - 00:58:50 | Speaker 3:

Lydia, make sure we get some good ones for these guys. What's her name? What's your best friend's name?

00:58:52 - 00:58:52 | Speaker 4:

Kristen.

00:58:53 - 00:59:00 | Speaker 3:

Hello, Kristen. We love that you guys are listening to us. Kristen. We love you. Thanks so much. Congratulations to you, Gina.

00:59:01 - 00:59:02 | Speaker 4:

Thank you so much.

00:59:03 - 00:59:14 | Speaker 3:

She's from St. Clair Shores, Michigan, and she's going to our Jingle Ball starring everybody, Teddy Swims. Are you excited for that? Jason Derulo. I'm so excited.

00:59:14 - 00:59:16 | Speaker 4:

You guys just made my whole year.

00:59:16 - 00:59:19 | Speaker 3:

Jack Harlow, Madison Beer, Saweetie. Hold on one second, okay?

00:59:20 - 00:59:22 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Thank you guys so much.

00:59:23 - 00:59:39 | Speaker 3:

Today would be a day you'd want to win a trip to Florida, to Miami, wouldn't it? I don't even like going to Miami because, to me, I'm not, like, Miami looking. Like, I'm, like, fat white guy from the Midwest. Like, hey, look at that guy. That's Clark Griswold. No, it's not.

00:59:39 - 00:59:43 | Speaker 1:

And people in Miami treat you different based on how you look. It is wild.

00:59:43 - 00:59:45 | Speaker 3:

Like, I'm more like Jacksonville.

00:59:45 - 00:59:46 | Speaker 1:

Have you ever been there?

00:59:46 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 3:

Tampa, Orlando. I've been to Miami several times. You don't think so? I don't think so. It's too sexy for me. But we're giving you a chance to win coming up at 9 o'clock. It's Mojo on the morning show. So I was telling these guys this morning about this.

01:00:00 - 01:00:17 | Speaker 2:

and I'm going to do this as a topic right now. I'm trying to figure out what Chelsea's size is because I want to buy her something for this Christmas that I think that would be really cool to do. And I actually have, if you guys want, should I send it to you guys to show you what I'm going to buy for Chelsea?

01:00:17 - 01:00:17 | Speaker 4:

Yes, yes, yes, I love that.

01:00:17 - 01:00:34 | Speaker 2:

So I don't know what Chelsea's size is. Like, I do know this. Like, when she, when I wanted it in the past to go get her something from like Lululemon or, you know, the aloe store or whatever, I'll just take one of her things that she has That's in her dirty clothes and I'll bring it in there And they'll look at the size for me

01:00:34 - 01:00:36 | Speaker 4:

That's what I was going to tell you to do here Why is this different?

01:00:37 - 01:00:51 | Speaker 2:

Because this thing is different and I've never bought her this before But also the other thing is I don't think the size is It's not like grab her jeans What is the size of her jeans? Grab her underwear Please don't bring her underwear

01:00:51 - 01:00:54 | Speaker 4:

Is that bad? Of the dirty clothes

01:00:54 - 01:01:14 | Speaker 2:

So I'm thinking to myself that this would be a fun Christmas because we have Christmas with the kids, but we're also going to have Christmas where it's just going to be like she and I are going to do something really cool. We're going to do like a date night. We're going to go stay at a hotel down here and stuff and hang out. So here's what I was thinking for Chelsea for Christmas.

01:01:14 - 01:01:15 | Speaker 4:

Oh, God.

01:01:15 - 01:01:16 | Speaker 2:

What?

01:01:16 - 01:01:18 | Speaker 4:

I'm nervous. What are you about going to send us?

01:01:19 - 01:01:30 | Speaker 2:

Some of our great women that listen to the show, give me an idea of how I could get Chelsea's size without asking her her size because I want to see that this works out I want to buy her this

01:01:30 - 01:01:35 | Speaker 4:

oh my god what? you just sent it to the group

01:01:35 - 01:01:37 | Speaker 2:

what's wrong with it?

01:01:38 - 01:01:48 | Speaker 4:

I don't know how to say this no that doesn't scream Chelsea to me at all not even a little bit I can't

01:01:48 - 01:01:49 | Speaker 2:

why?

01:01:49 - 01:01:55 | Speaker 4:

it just is get her something nice That's not nice. No, that's tacky. Get out of here.

01:01:55 - 01:02:24 | Speaker 2:

Why is that tacky? Because I actually found that they had, for those that they can't see over the radio, you can't see, I want to get her this really sexy Santa outfit. Imagine mean girls. Yes. Like what they wore when they performed at that talent show. And what I want to do is I want to get her that, and then they have a Santa one, too. Great reference. By the way, does anybody find Mrs. Claus hot? Is Mrs. Claus sexy? Because it's kind of like a sexy Mrs. Claus.

01:02:24 - 01:02:45 | Speaker 4:

There are two problems with this. Very, very, very big problems. One, she's just going to laugh and roll her eyes when she opens it. That is not Chels. Okay? Second, the name, do not, do not show the listing to her or a receipt because the name of this is Velvet Kitten Sexy Santa Mistress Costume.

01:02:45 - 01:02:49 | Speaker 3:

Exactly. This ain't for Mrs. Claus. This is the outfit the girl was wearing when he cheated on her.

01:02:49 - 01:03:03 | Speaker 2:

But that's the thing, though, is that we're going to do a night at a hotel, and I thought if this would be kind of fun. I like it. So how do you get your girl's size when you're trying to buy her like sexy outfits? Lingerie and things.

01:03:03 - 01:03:03 | Speaker 4:

That sizing is weird.

01:03:04 - 01:03:04 | Speaker 2:

Is it?

01:03:04 - 01:03:06 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Because I don't,

01:03:06 - 01:03:17 | Speaker 2:

is it insulting if I buy too small or buy too big? Which one's more insulting? If like say Wes was going to buy you something, would you rather him buy it too small or too big?

01:03:19 - 01:03:32 | Speaker 5:

I know the answer. I think it's too small. Oh, this is easy. too small i want you to think i'm skinny okay but then you feel like awful if you put it on no but if i doesn't fit i don't know if you put it too big i'm like you thought i was

01:03:33 - 01:03:42 | Speaker 4:

hold on i think well because this is online so you can't even take her stuff to a store and be like okay so these are some of the clothes that fit her first off it just don't even buy this

01:03:42 - 01:03:51 | Speaker 5:

please don't be done done that's the that's the solution also buy a sexy outfit buy a classy nice expensive. I've got a good story you can go to. What's wrong with that?

01:03:51 - 01:03:59 | Speaker 2:

That is cheesy. I think the one that I took the picture of is Classier. I'm trying to find it. Read Zach's text to me. At the bottom? Yeah.

01:03:59 - 01:04:05 | Speaker 3:

In all caps, absolutely you buy that. But then get her a bag as well.

01:04:07 - 01:04:14 | Speaker 5:

Okay, yeah, get her a nice ass bag and put that inside of it and be like, and open the bag up. That I would be okay with.

01:04:14 - 01:04:18 | Speaker 2:

I like that. Thank you, by the way, to the person that said Chelsea's size is

01:04:18 - 01:04:40 | Speaker 1:

hot capital h-o-t i love that thank you and a good bag what's up jamie hi hi i just want to let you guys know if you take your the seams from like the jeans and line them up to the new pants if they fit directly across and even then they'll fit oh okay yeah that's what i do whenever i go

01:04:40 - 01:04:47 | Speaker 2:

shopping and there's no uh changing rooms okay so okay so but here's the thing um study that all

01:04:47 - 01:05:00 | Speaker 1:

over again so let's say like you're looking at your jeans that you have on right now you know how do you have the seams that go down the size of your pants yeah you all you have to do is take those new pair of pants line

01:05:00 - 01:05:05 | Speaker 6:

them up to the seams if they go from seam to seam they'll fit okay all right that's going to be a

01:05:05 - 01:05:15 | Speaker 4:

little confusing can you just tell me like a place i can look and just see a number why why are women because women's clothes are so weird how they they're they're totally different than guys

01:05:15 - 01:05:27 | Speaker 6:

oh yeah i have 10 different sizes it's completely frustrating and it can be at the same brand like i have jeans from the same brand that are different sizes do you think exactly do you think

01:05:27 - 01:05:33 | Speaker 4:

it's wrong to get your uh as a guy to get your girl like like a sexy santa claus outfit i don't

01:05:33 - 01:05:50 | Speaker 1:

think so i love i love lingerie no i don't think the lingerie gift to me i love that this is like it's a white elephant yes yeah why is that a white elephant because it's just it's like funny really i wouldn't i don't mean it to be funny though i know but buy her something nice then

01:05:50 - 01:05:55 | Speaker 4:

that she will wear more than one time there ain't nothing nothing funny about money no because this This is for you.

01:05:56 - 01:05:57 | Speaker 6:

This is for you.

01:05:57 - 01:05:58 | Speaker 4:

What's wrong with that, though?

01:05:58 - 01:06:02 | Speaker 6:

Because that's not a gift for me. It's a gift for us. Nope.

01:06:02 - 01:06:05 | Speaker 4:

What's going on? I would have bought it. Courtney, what's going on?

01:06:07 - 01:06:15 | Speaker 8:

Mojo, this is not a gift for Chelsea. This is a gift for you, man. You not knowing the size is a sign from God. You should not.

01:06:16 - 01:06:17 | Unknown:

Come on.

01:06:19 - 01:06:21 | Speaker 4:

Why are you guys all haters?

01:06:22 - 01:06:28 | Speaker 9:

I'm not a hater. Listen, if you want to get it, make it fun for you and Chelsea, fine. But get her a real gift.

01:06:28 - 01:06:30 | Speaker 4:

I've gotten her so many real gifts.

01:06:31 - 01:06:37 | Speaker 9:

You've been on the radio for a while. You're in a new studio. You've got the money, man. Send it on her. She loves you. She stuck it out with you this long.

01:06:39 - 01:06:49 | Speaker 4:

This isn't her only gift, though, right? I know. This is going to be one of many. I've always just gotten her the gifts. She opens them up, and it's like, whatever. This would be the gift we would be talking about forever.

01:06:49 - 01:06:50 | Speaker 3:

You've got to do it.

01:06:50 - 01:06:59 | Speaker 7:

If it's not the only gift, I'm in support. Figure it out. Find it. I don't know. But you have to buy another gift.

01:07:00 - 01:07:03 | Speaker 1:

Do you even hear the despair in her voice and kind of saying maybe?

01:07:03 - 01:07:05 | Speaker 7:

I don't know.

01:07:05 - 01:07:07 | Speaker 6:

Maybe. You're going to be disappointed if you don't do it.

01:07:08 - 01:07:41 | Speaker 3:

As Kris Kringle leaves, 6.30, the reindeer team's in the air. Sexy toys Making all kinds of noise Now the jack-in-the-box display Her mistletoe floor Me and Mrs. Mrs. Claus I have never heard a sexy Christmas song before. I kind of like it, though.

01:07:41 - 01:07:42 | Speaker 4:

What's up, princess? Hi.

01:07:43 - 01:07:45 | Speaker 5:

Get it for Shannon. No.

01:07:45 - 01:07:49 | Speaker 4:

This isn't Princess Steve Gavara's princess, is it?

01:07:51 - 01:07:53 | Speaker 5:

No, but I've called in a few times.

01:07:53 - 01:07:54 | Speaker 4:

What's up, princess? What do you want to say?

01:07:56 - 01:08:12 | Speaker 5:

I was just saying that I really love listening to you. I love how you open the door to, like, the man slash the husband's perspective. Thank you. Like, your thought process when it comes to, like, looking for a gift and stuff. Yeah. Yes, I love that. Oh, thank you. Thank you. I just wanted to tell you.

01:08:12 - 01:08:19 | Speaker 4:

I ain't perfect, but you know what? i'm me and i think she loves me so i think that's wonderful let's go to misfit victor on this one

01:08:19 - 01:09:08 | Speaker 2:

i know he'll agree with me right yes sometimes you have to buy uh presents for somebody that are more presents for you no you don't i bought my wife something and she's like what is this i go it's a gift for you but it's more of a present for me just put it on but tom what what you have to do is like if you go on some of these sites or if it's online read the reviews because sometimes people put a review on there like oh it's it's big or it's small or runs large okay uh some people will put on there i'm 5 4 120 it fit good whatever so you and sometimes what's even cooler is they'll post pictures on there so you can like line up you know okay that's that's kind of what chelsea

01:09:08 - 01:09:09 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, Chelsea kind of looks like that, yeah.

01:09:10 - 01:09:14 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Yeah, and you can, you know, compare and contrast the two.

01:09:14 - 01:09:27 | Speaker 4:

Do you know Victor actually does this for Tina all the time? He buys her, like, her dresses and stuff, which is wild. I always thought as a guy that was a weird thing, but she likes it. I think I'm going to try this with Chelsea. Thank you, Victor.

01:09:27 - 01:09:34 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, according to one of your listeners, it's a control thing. You know, I'm an abusive husband, and I'm like, you have to wear this now, woman.

01:09:34 - 01:09:48 | Speaker 4:

No, yes, no. there's nothing if you know the two of us there's not we don't we don't have control of even ourselves um no exactly no control all right talk to you later buddy what's up shay hi good morning

01:09:48 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 6:

you know i say get it and it kind of you've been married a long time so it's things that you do i was married for 30 years to keep stuff alive yes make it fun yeah you don't when you say when you

01:09:59 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 4:

Did you say you've been married?

01:10:00 - 01:10:05 | Speaker 1:

for 30 years are you still married hopefully no oh no was it because that you guys didn't keep

01:10:05 - 01:10:13 | Speaker 4:

things alive uh no oh okay no no it just it just is what it is it was toxic and you think they're

01:10:13 - 01:10:18 | Speaker 1:

better off let me just say this to you if i don't buy this for her our marriage will fail i'm gonna

01:10:18 - 01:10:31 | Speaker 4:

buy it for her i don't think so you do need to buy it though you know what it gives me family vacation vibe okay oh yeah there you go yeah it does i think it'll be fun have fun have a good I mean, uh-huh.

01:10:31 - 01:10:32 | Speaker 1:

Thanks for being supportive.

01:10:32 - 01:10:41 | Speaker 4:

Be careful where you order from, though. Be careful where you order. I do clothing reviews. Some of the lingerie especially is, like, cheap. It's not made well. So just watch, you know.

01:10:41 - 01:10:43 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, nothing flammable. I don't want anything flammable.

01:10:44 - 01:10:47 | Speaker 4:

Exactly. All right. Look in her drawer. It will be a family vacation thing.

01:10:47 - 01:10:48 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:10:48 - 01:10:55 | Speaker 4:

A Christmas vacation thing. Yeah. But look in her drawers and her dresser and just look at the sizes that she's wearing. You know what's funny? Usually it goes by measurement.

01:10:55 - 01:11:11 | Speaker 1:

I don't even know which drawer is her underwear drawer. Isn't that the craziest? We've been married for so long. I don't know. Do people know, like, what drawers? Like, I sometimes get surprised by stuff that I put, you know, I go open up a drawer. So I have no clue. But I'm going to try it. I'll see what happens. What's up, Kaylee?

01:11:13 - 01:11:18 | Speaker 5:

Hey, good morning. I just said, like, if Kev likes it, we hate it.

01:11:19 - 01:11:22 | Speaker 1:

Oh, dang. Well, Kaylee, guess what? I like you. So what is that?

01:11:22 - 01:11:29 | Speaker 5:

I asked you back and I said, I love you too, but you have been so spicy lately.

01:11:30 - 01:11:37 | Speaker 1:

Muy caliente. I got to bring the heat. Kevin, by the way, has got my back all the time. So I just want you to know that. I take Kevin's advice.

01:11:37 - 01:11:45 | Speaker 2:

Wait, the girls on the show have your back as well. And that's why we are very strongly suggesting that you buy her something. Buy her lingerie, just not that.

01:11:45 - 01:11:51 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. We would not have your back if we were like, this is a good idea. She's going to love it, dude.

01:11:51 - 01:12:33 | Speaker 1:

I think they're setting me up. All right, thank you. Love you, Kaylee. Christmas is coming because I see a lot of ho-ho-hos at the mall, mall, mall. This is Mojo in the Morning. All right, it is the Mojo in the Morning show. Breaking and entering Christmas wish is granting more wishes this year than ever before. And if you haven't gotten your letters into us, go to mojoswish.org and send it. Whether it's for you or someone that you know, we want to help you out. mojoswish.org and we'll be granting another Breaking and Entering Christmas wish coming up here very, very soon. Alright, how is this possible? It's Mojo in the Morning Show that you can't be ugly and smelly.

01:12:34 - 01:14:01 | Speaker 3:

Well, that's the mantra that I have started to live my life by because I think trying to be perfect all the time, it's too much effort. I can't do it. I'm setting myself up for failure so I need to change where the expectations are, right? So I have started doing this thing, which I cannot believe I have said out loud on the phone so many times that now my family members start saying it back to me. And it's, you can't be ugly and smelly. All right. And that's my new life rule. I can leave the house looking a hot ass mess. I'm talking the hair should really be under a hat because it's so greasy the makeup was done 12 hours ago and only one wing of the eyeliner still remains on your face like whatever you're allowed to leave the house and why do we all have the one pair of sweatpants that has like a whole kind of near your region but not too close where you guys throw the pants away but I mean we shouldn't be wearing those out we got them in college that was a long time ago let it go it's okay to let things go but we still choose to leave the house in these Even if it's, I don't know, maybe specifically to take your dog around the block, to go to the dog park, to go to the bathroom. You shouldn't be wearing them, but you are. And the rule is if you're going to leave the house looking like that, you have to smell good. So at least when people walk by you and think that you're an unhoused person, they go, no, she's not. I get this. That's good perfume.

01:14:01 - 01:14:05 | Speaker 1:

No, I get this. So something on you. That's interesting.

01:14:05 - 01:14:10 | Speaker 3:

It has to be good. And I'm not speaking from a very specific situation that I experienced recently there.

01:14:11 - 01:14:12 | Speaker 1:

This was yesterday.

01:14:13 - 01:14:29 | Speaker 3:

I had a listener run into me, no bra, greasy hair, my college sweatpants that have a weird hole in the leg that's a little too close to the crotch area. And as she's walking by, she looks at me and she just goes, hi, Megan. I was like, no, but I smelled good.

01:14:30 - 01:14:40 | Speaker 1:

You with no bra is crazy. But Megan, what happens, though, if they see you from a distance and they can't smell you? Do you have to run towards them so they can smell you? Absolutely.

01:14:40 - 01:14:49 | Speaker 3:

Good point, good point. I'm the weird, like, creepy, like, gross-looking woman just running at strangers. But I smell the ice! Yeah. Or for me, it's, but I have my nails done!

01:14:50 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 2:

My nails look good! A great other example. The rest of me looks like holy hell, but look at how fresh these nails are today. I'm pulling my hands on my sleeves.

01:15:00 - 01:15:25 | Speaker 5:

Like, I feel like there are times where you wear, like, your clothes that you look fat in. Like, they're those things. And when you look fat in certain clothes, like, you have to have it that your hair looks amazing, though, that day. Yes. Yes. You know? Like, there are times where I feel like my hair looks bad. Like, I'll put product in my hair and I'll go, man, my hair just looks bad today. But I got good clothes on. Or, you know, the vice versa.

01:15:25 - 01:15:26 | Speaker 4:

You can't have bad hair or no makeup.

01:15:27 - 01:15:27 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:15:27 - 01:15:35 | Speaker 4:

Like, it's got to be one or the other. If you are having a bad hair day, your makeup better look great. You better look dewy and fresh. If your makeup is terrible, fix the hair.

01:15:35 - 01:15:41 | Speaker 5:

I do feel bad that you guys feel like you have to put makeup on, but I will say this, though. There are times when I will see.

01:15:41 - 01:15:44 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Fred, love me, my friend.

01:15:44 - 01:15:55 | Speaker 5:

There are times when I will see, and I'll go, wow, thank God she's wearing great shoes. Both of you in this segment are actually kind of wild.

01:15:55 - 01:15:55 | Speaker 2:

What do you do?

01:15:56 - 01:16:03 | Speaker 5:

You without a bra is wild. You said that. You two being on the chest, but you got to have a bra on, Megan.

01:16:04 - 01:16:08 | Speaker 4:

Again, I repeat, you two during this segment are wild.

01:16:08 - 01:16:17 | Speaker 5:

Megan without a bra, but her hair looks fabulous. It looks wonderful. You see those eyebrows. She's amazing. Okay, does this work for guys, too?

01:16:18 - 01:16:23 | Speaker 4:

I think this is only a girls thing. I actually am so angry with the two of you right now.

01:16:23 - 01:16:28 | Speaker 5:

By the way, you say you're so angry all the time so much that it has now become something I'm falling deaf.

01:16:28 - 01:16:29 | Speaker 1:

It's just Thursday.

01:16:30 - 01:16:30 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:16:30 - 01:16:31 | Speaker 1:

How are my shoes looking?

01:16:32 - 01:16:41 | Speaker 5:

Actually, can I tell you something? We went out last night. Shannon and Wes and I went on a double date with each other. I was actually part of their threesome.

01:16:41 - 01:16:42 | Speaker 1:

I have a comment.

01:16:42 - 01:16:50 | Speaker 5:

We were at Lucido Fine Jewelry. And I'm not going to lie to you, but I thought that the three of us looked fabulous. And you can see those pictures up on our social media.

01:16:50 - 01:17:01 | Speaker 1:

Let me tell you how this actually went. We walk in. Mojo was already there. He takes a look at Wes, and he goes, God, you are effing hot. And then he turns to me, and he goes, I like your dress.

01:17:04 - 01:17:04 | Speaker 5:

Damn.

01:17:05 - 01:17:05 | Speaker 1:

Oh.

01:17:05 - 01:17:45 | Speaker 5:

Can I tell you the funniest is? Okay. The funniest is that people got a chance to meet Wes for the first time. A lot of people got a chance to meet him. And everybody that was there, you know, from my buddy Sal from TSA, who's one of Lucido's greatest friends, to even, you know, some of the Lucido, like, kids, like the Vince, Joe, and Fran's kids were coming up. It was like, it's the first time I've seen Wes. Oh, my God. Look at him. Like, he looks even better than he does in his pictures. But we posted the picture, and somebody said that Wes and I look alike, which I thought was so funny. Was it, like, before and after? But you know what we're like? We're like that movie. No, no, no. I look good, Kev.

01:17:45 - 01:17:47 | Speaker 4:

You are so out of pocket right now. It is crazy.

01:17:48 - 01:17:48 | Speaker 5:

No.

01:17:48 - 01:17:49 | Speaker 4:

Go take a deep breath out there.

01:17:49 - 01:17:50 | Speaker 5:

Take a lap.

01:17:51 - 01:17:56 | Speaker 1:

Am I really that bad? Yeah, dude, you need to take a lap, dude. Calm down. You both looked great last night.

01:17:57 - 01:17:58 | Speaker 5:

Here's what I would like to do, though.

01:17:58 - 01:17:58 | Speaker 1:

What?

01:17:59 - 01:18:16 | Speaker 5:

I would like to have Wes and I and have KP take that picture of the two of us together because we took one when we were waiting for you to grab Fran Lucido. I want to get that picture and then do the Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger twins photo and have the two of us together. What's going on? How you doing, Becky?

01:18:18 - 01:18:47 | Speaker 3:

Hi. So we kind of have a theory about this. I own a hair salon in Wyandotte, and there's six of us girls there, and we tend to go out, like, after work or whatever because Wyandotte's kind of jumping. And we always kind of subscribe to this rule of the two-thirds rule. So if, like, two out of the three are good, you're safe to go. So if your outfit's good, if your hair is good, you're safe. If your makeup's good, if your outfit's good, you're safe. So we kind of do this, too, and I think it's genius.

01:18:48 - 01:18:48 | Speaker 5:

That's a great.

01:18:48 - 01:18:51 | Speaker 3:

That's a great. I'm using that. I'm using that.

01:18:51 - 01:18:52 | Speaker 5:

What hair salon in Wyandotte?

01:18:53 - 01:18:56 | Speaker 3:

It's called Blush Hair Lab. Woo, woo, woo, woo, woo. Yeah.

01:18:57 - 01:19:03 | Speaker 5:

Yes. We love you guys in Wyandotte. And by the way, you're right. Wyandotte's got some fun stuff going on. So we'll have to come down and see you, okay?

01:19:04 - 01:19:08 | Speaker 3:

Please do. We love it. We love when you guys are at District 142. It's the best.

01:19:09 - 01:19:12 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, so much fun. What's going on, Dana? How are you?

01:19:13 - 01:19:22 | Speaker 2:

Hey, I'm thinking you go the opposite. it if you act and look like you're homeless they're not gonna mess with you going in your neck

01:19:22 - 01:19:28 | Speaker 5:

that's actually kind of funny it's funny if you if you look a certain way you actually get more

01:19:28 - 01:19:50 | Speaker 4:

attention and you don't want that attention that's fair but here's here's what happens in my life and tell me if this is the same for you if i look my absolute best i don't run into anybody i know or want to see and if i'm looking like a hot mess i'm running into everybody i've ever known in my entire life so if i'm gonna look a hot mess they gotta walk away going i wonder what she

01:19:50 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 2:

wears though because that smells good you know what i mean leave them with something positive i get it yeah but on the other hand you know how many people are you gonna run into down there

01:20:00 - 01:20:01 | Speaker 3:

walking down the street.

01:20:02 - 01:20:02 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:20:03 - 01:20:04 | Speaker 3:

You'd be surprised.

01:20:05 - 01:20:13 | Speaker 1:

It's undoubtedly every time that you are not looking the way you want to look, you've got the hottest guy running up to you. You know what I mean?

01:20:14 - 01:20:18 | Speaker 5:

True, but you still don't want to be messed with at this moment?

01:20:18 - 01:20:51 | Speaker 3:

I'm going nasty. It was like the time I ran into Jack Harlow when I straight up looked a hot-ass mess, and I'm not being dramatic. his security went to the other side of him to get in between us because that's how bad I look it's my favorite story in the entire world they thought I was approaching him to ask for money oh I loved it so it was a real confidence booster and all I kept thinking was my perfume is on point right now like if he could smell me though he'd be like dang who that girl Courtney what's up

01:20:51 - 01:21:01 | Speaker 5:

it's Mojo in the morning hi good morning Wes and Mojo need to recreate the photo in the elf movie where the elf is sitting on his dad's lap and the really big elf

01:21:01 - 01:21:04 | Speaker 4:

and the tiny, the tiny guy.

01:21:05 - 01:21:10 | Speaker 5:

And then you can use it as a break. You can do it as a breaking and a screen promo photo.

01:21:10 - 01:21:14 | Speaker 1:

That's fantastic. That's hilarious. You are funny, Courtney. Oh my God.

01:21:14 - 01:21:15 | Speaker 4:

Merry Christmas.

01:21:15 - 01:21:46 | Speaker 1:

You know what I love though? I love about Wes because Wes, honestly, in the picture, he looks much shorter than he actually is. I love that his height plays no part in him at all. Like, I've never seen him, like, some guys that are, you know, less than six foot tall or whatever, some guys that are less, that is, like, their personality. Like, it is, it's awesome. And he's really not that, I'm telling you. He's not. It was just the way. Yeah, he's not. I mean, he's very normal. He's not that tall, but he's not that short.

01:21:47 - 01:21:47 | Speaker 3:

Right.

01:21:47 - 01:21:50 | Speaker 1:

But, you know, what's up, Lisa? Hi.

01:21:51 - 01:21:53 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. How's everyone?

01:21:53 - 01:21:54 | Speaker 1:

01:21:54 - 01:22:01 | Speaker 5:

01:22:01 - 01:22:07 | Speaker 1:

01:22:21 - 01:22:22 | Speaker 1:

That's your timeout referee whistle.

01:22:23 - 01:22:25 | Speaker 5:

Why are you acting like you're not being wild?

01:22:25 - 01:22:30 | Speaker 2:

She's trying to extinguish my vibe, so that was a good call at the fire alarm. What did I do, Lisa?

01:22:31 - 01:22:34 | Speaker 5:

You're just being mean, mean-spirited. What did I say?

01:22:34 - 01:22:35 | Speaker 4:

Before and after.

01:22:35 - 01:22:37 | Speaker 3:

What did I say? Talking about my boobs.

01:22:38 - 01:22:43 | Speaker 2:

I wasn't talking about your boobs. It was more of a complimentary way. You have very voluptuous.

01:22:43 - 01:22:54 | Speaker 1:

Could you stop? Cav is going through. For those who don't know, Cav's got some personal stuff going on here right now, and he's handled himself great, I think he's fine. No, he's good. You're good.

01:22:54 - 01:22:54 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm good.

01:22:55 - 01:23:04 | Speaker 1:

He's okay. But with that said, speaking of the referee whistle, we have Lions tickets coming up here in just a little bit. We said before 830. We've got to give those away before 830. Okay, Lisa, be listening.

01:23:04 - 01:23:05 | Speaker 2:

I love you, Lisa.

01:23:05 - 01:23:05 | Speaker 5:

Sounds good.

01:23:06 - 01:23:06 | Speaker 1:

Take care.

I haven't even run it by you guys, but I think, just trust me on this one. I think it will work because I think our new phone system, it will help with this. How many phone lines ring in and then how many phone lines do we have to actually call out Lydia?

01:27:11 - 01:27:26 | Speaker 1:

Oh, she might be in the bathroom. No, I'm here. I really got to go though. I'm clenching cheeks. i have six phone lines that ring it and four that ring out so six okay all right so here's the deal

01:27:26 - 01:28:07 | Speaker 3:

i want to fill up all 10 lines for for this contest and then i'm going to do it in a second so don't call that right now for the the tickets so what i'll do is i'll play a song and um to give you the time to do it and so some listeners that you know want to go see the lions You can text Lions to 95500. But what I'm going to do is we're going to call like some of the four that we have to. We'll get on hold some of the people that call. And then we're going to do a contest in honor of Jared Goff today. Okay. All right. We'll see how it goes. But it will be after the next topic. So right after this next topic. All right. It's Mojo on the morning show. So what are you going to do about her bathroom situation?

01:28:07 - 01:28:12 | Speaker 1:

She's going. No, I'm not going yet. I like to wait until a commercial break.

01:28:12 - 01:28:19 | Speaker 3:

She's going to go right now while we do a long set of work.

01:28:19 - 01:28:26 | Speaker 1:

No, I'm going to stay here. I actually have a bad headache because when I don't poop, when I really have to. Oh, wait, you've got to go there. Yeah, that's what she said, clenching cheeks.

01:28:26 - 01:28:26 | Speaker 2:

Go.

01:28:26 - 01:28:27 | Speaker 1:

No, I'll wait.

01:28:27 - 01:28:34 | Speaker 2:

Wait, we've got to do what they do in the club because in the club, we all fare. We've got to play the DJ pooping song.

01:28:35 - 01:28:38 | Speaker 3:

Cuban Shuffle, baby. Oh, Cuban Shuffle. It's a seven-minute song.

01:28:38 - 01:28:40 | Speaker 2:

You hear that at the club? DJ's pooping.

01:28:40 - 01:28:50 | Speaker 1:

i gotta poo i never knew that listen to you a rock st-shirt you hear stare in heaven jack's

01:28:50 - 01:28:56 | Speaker 2:

pooping never thought about that wait what's the song for us we don't have any they're all like

01:28:56 - 01:29:00 | Speaker 3:

two minutes long i know actually the only one is like a normal one like something maybe i don't

01:29:00 - 01:29:06 | Speaker 2:

know like a chaperone or something like that uh one of the most mispronounced words of 2024

01:29:07 - 01:29:09 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? Yes. Was that a story you're doing this morning?

01:29:09 - 01:29:10 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

01:29:10 - 01:29:21 | Speaker 3:

All right. It's Mojo on the morning show. So we went out to a station thing last night, and you had an incident take place, or I wouldn't say incident because it sounds like it was. I mean, it was. Yeah, what happened?

01:29:21 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so what happened when you left your kids home alone? Now, I did not leave Lucy and Smith home alone. They are 10 and 7. I would never, ever do that. But my stepkids were home, and they're sophomore, senior, so totally fine. And actually, Samantha wanted to make a little bit of money. So we, Wes and I have always said, we never want to put her in a situation where she feels like she has to watch like, you know, her younger siblings, but she wanted to make money. So we needed a babysitter so that we could, you know, go out for the station thing. And so I said, we will pay you if you want to watch the kids. So anyway, all four were home last night while we were gone. And as we got home and we didn't even get home that late, but as we got home and walked through the door.

01:30:00 - 01:31:09 | Speaker 4:

sam is screaming smith is screaming lucy's like in tears and she's like mom we almost had to call the fire department because there was a fire and i'm thinking what in the heck happened like we're thinking everything's gonna be fine and apparently that dang puppy the cute bad dog is what i call him beau unbeknownst to all of us so lucy has in her bedroom she has her bed she has a nightstand and there's a lamp on the nightstand but the cord and the plug is like behind and underneath her bed and beau loves to go under her bed he had chewed the cord oh man to a point where lucy went to get into bed turned on her light and it started like majorly sparking and smoke filled her bedroom oh my god so they thought it started a fire right and they were gonna call the fire department but as this is happening like we're coming home oh my god how scary could you imagine could you imagine if you come

01:31:09 - 01:31:13 | Speaker 2:

home and there's fire trucks in front of your house I mean it literally all

01:31:13 - 01:31:26 | Speaker 4:

happened at the same time but that dang dog I mean after the smoke clear like Like, they weren't joking. They weren't exaggerating. I went under the bed and got it out, and he had just, like, gnawed on the cord.

01:31:26 - 01:31:59 | Speaker 2:

And we didn't know because it was under the bed. Here's the topic. When you left and had a night out or whatever, you left your kids home alone. You know, they were good. What happened? What crazy thing happened? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. We've had, like, kids, like, break bones with babysitters and stuff like that. Like we had that situation, which is the worst feeling ever, because as a parent, it's, you know, you are putting a responsible person there and accidents can happen any time. Yeah. But it's even worse when it happens and the kids are with a babysitter at times because you feel horrible.

01:32:00 - 01:32:09 | Speaker 5:

Absolutely. Do you ever blame the babysitter for stuff like that? No. Because I always feel like so bad for the babysitter who probably feels so guilty, but like it happens all the time.

01:32:09 - 01:32:18 | Speaker 4:

It happens at sports, in the backyard with mom and dad home. Yep, yep. And this obviously was nothing that anybody had any idea about nor could control.

01:32:19 - 01:32:36 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I leave my kid with the babysitter and I come home and they got a broke arm. I don't know if I'm going to be that understanding. But, I mean, accidents do happen. They do, but I don't know if that'll be my initial mindset. It's, oh, it's okay. It could have happened any time. No, where was your antennas when you were jumping off the couch?

01:32:36 - 01:33:03 | Speaker 2:

We had another one incident where I remember we left the kids home. And I can't remember what the girl's name was. It was a girl that lived on the street from us, went to West Bloomfield High School. And one of the kids called 911 because he was upset. I think it was Jacob. He was upset with Joe. And the cops did show up at the house. And they told us later, like, hey, he accidentally called 911 because he was mad at Joe. But he had saw that you can call the police. And he wanted to call the police on his brother because Jacob was upset with Joe for doing something.

01:33:03 - 01:33:05 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. Hysterical.

01:33:05 - 01:33:31 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Text her here, 95500. Shannon, you are so lucky. Our house actually started on fire when the kids were home with a babysitter. That is, that's got to be like horribly scary. 734, 734 says, we left the kids home alone and the kids actually went out and our sitter could not find them. What's going on, Melissa? Hi.

01:33:33 - 01:34:54 | Speaker 1:

Hi. I have a story about when I was a babysitter many years ago. Yeah. so i was babysitting the family and i put the baby's bottle and that this is back when they were glass bottles and i put it in the microwave to heat up the baby's milk and the microwave blew up all over like blew up like shattered door everywhere so i in tears called my mom she came and picked me and the kids up brought us to her house um it destroyed these people's carpet in like in a dining room area it destroyed their flooring and then while they came to pick us up they had one of their older kids with them in the backseat of their car and they just left the car running to come in and get the baby for me in my house and while they were getting the baby for me um these two guys you can't make this crap up these two guys who had escaped from prison earlier that that day came and stole their car with their child in it oh my god this is like one thing on top of another that's crazy yeah and the police had to like you know chase them down and oh they ended up having to wreck their car like they ended up i bet you they never ever went out

01:34:54 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 2:

ever again those those poor people are never having a night out samantha what's up it's

01:35:00 - 01:35:06 | Speaker 1:

emoji on the morning what happened when you left the kids home alone so i wasn't feeling well

01:35:06 - 01:35:45 | Speaker 3:

can you guys hear me good yeah absolutely you sound great okay um so i wasn't feeling well and i went to the hospital my one friend took me and her wife watched my son and mid just waiting at the hospital i get a phone call that he's having a seizure um and this we didn't know anything before that so i leave the hospital try to fly to my house get stuck by a train i got pulled over and i i was a panic because this was a very like the very first time we

01:35:45 - 01:35:50 | Speaker 1:

01:35:50 - 01:35:57 | Speaker 3:

01:35:57 - 01:36:11 | Speaker 1:

01:36:11 - 01:36:37 | Speaker 4:

crazy what's going on okay first time long time um so we did actually have a babysitter but the babysitter fell asleep and at the time we had a pet raccoon and the pet raccoon was still in the house with us when we fell asleep and so when my parents got home the raccoon had gotten through all the trash and ate our pet fish oh my god

01:36:37 - 01:36:54 | Speaker 1:

what the hell you got a raccoon for that is insanity raccoons are supposed to be like super cuddly and cute would you babysit somebody with a pet raccoon yes what's up chris hi Hey, what's up, Mojo? How you doing? What happened when you left the kids home alone?

01:36:56 - 01:37:12 | Speaker 2:

So we left my niece in charge of watching my one-year-old son, and she ended up dozing off, and he proceeded to take his diaper off and paint the entire house with what was inside of his diaper. Oh, no.

01:37:13 - 01:37:16 | Speaker 4:

That was so fun. I'm not playing in that.

01:37:16 - 01:37:22 | Speaker 1:

That had to be a fun mess to come into. I'm assuming your niece never babysat again.

01:37:23 - 01:37:26 | Speaker 2:

We gave her a little time before we let her try again.

01:37:28 - 01:39:42 | Speaker 1:

lions. Are you kidding me? Blinged out sunglasses. Your say Gibbs. Mine say St. Brown. I'm the rock, baby.

01:40:08 - 01:40:14 | Speaker 2:

What do you want to say, Mojo? Mine says Detroit football. Okay, so...

01:40:14 - 01:40:17 | Speaker 1:

Aren't they cute? There's ones that say grit. These are great.

01:40:18 - 01:40:27 | Speaker 2:

So we have our phone lines all full and I promise you, Lydia, after this is over with, you can go and you can if you want to go to the bathroom, you can right after this contest, okay?

01:40:28 - 01:40:28 | Speaker 1:

I'm okay.

01:40:28 - 01:40:30 | Speaker 2:

All the important, Lydia.

01:40:30 - 01:40:37 | Speaker 1:

Are you okay? Yeah, I'm fine. Listeners are kind of comparing to Taylor Swift right now with these line tickets, so I'm glad we're just doing a one and done.

01:40:37 - 01:41:19 | Speaker 2:

Oh, they're crazy about it, huh? I think we shut down phone lines in Detroit today. There might be an issue in Detroit because of this contest that we're doing. All right, so let me explain this contest to everybody. What we have on the phone lines here is we have a phone system, a new phone system. It's called X-Screen from Broadcast Bionics. I don't know what that is, but that's what it says on the thing. And we have a system here that can show you which of our phone lines is pumping out the most volume, which means that we want to put the loudest fan into Ford Field tonight. And the only way that we can test this is by having everybody together. One big happy party line. Remember party line?

01:41:20 - 01:41:21 | Unknown:

I love the party line.

01:41:21 - 01:42:23 | Speaker 2:

And this party line is going to be a special Jared Goff party line. where everybody is going to be Jared Goffing, Jared Goffing, Jared Goffing, right? We all got to have our Jared Goff going on here. There's nothing better than when all of a sudden people in a bathroom start going, Jared Goff, Jared Goff. When I was there on Thanksgiving at Ford Field, I got to take my glasses off because I can't even see the control boards because it's so dark with the glass on. But when I was at Ford Field, I'd go into the bathroom. The whole bathroom was full of a bunch of dudes Jared Goffing the entire time. So here's what I'm going to do. So I'm going to pick you guys up, and I'm going to introduce you each one by one, and then the phone system will slowly delete one by one the person that is not the loudest until we get to the loudest person. And that's how these tickets will be given away, or the $1,000 StubHub gift card. Let's introduce everybody that's on their phone lines first. First off, Chelsea from Farmington is on with us right now. What up, Chelsea? Hey, Chelsea.

01:42:23 - 01:42:26 | Speaker 1:

Are you loud, Chelsea?

01:42:27 - 01:42:28 | Speaker 2:

Or can you get loud?

01:42:29 - 01:42:33 | Speaker 1:

I am very loud. I'm also eight months pregnant, so I'm going to take this for my husband.

01:42:33 - 01:42:47 | Speaker 2:

You're the best. Congratulations. Let's have you hang on here for one second because we're bringing some more contestants on. Where's Lindsay from Northville? Give it up for Lindsay. Hey, Lindsay. Oh, my God. There you go. Lindsay, what are you doing? Are you driving?

01:42:48 - 01:42:49 | Speaker 1:

I am.

01:42:49 - 01:44:07 | Speaker 2:

Love it. Be safe when you're driving, though, because you're going to have to be making some noise here for a second. and I know the streets aren't that great. Let's bring up Landon from I don't know where. Where are you from, Landon? I'm from Grand Rapids. All right, Landon from Grand Rapids, GR in the house today. We love you, buddy. Come on. Can you get loud? Oh, I can get loud. All right, let's see what happens. Hold on one second. We've got more contestants here. Richard from New Baltimore is with us. What's up, Richard? Yeah, baby. Bow, kick a bow, wow. Oh, love that. Richard, get ready to be cheering on the Lions at Ford Field tonight. It could happen. Hold on one second. We're bringing on a few more people here. It's going to be as cold as Jared Goff. Jared Goff is going to be on fire tonight. Sam from Detroit. Welcome, Sam from Detroit. What's up, honey? Yes, Sam. Good morning. Good morning. Sam, you got to get live here. Make sure you guys don't have your Bluetooth on bad Bluetooth, because sometimes we won't be able to hear you. Rachel from Detroit. Are you there, Rachel?

01:44:08 - 01:44:10 | Speaker 1:

01:45:00 - 01:47:48 | Speaker 1:

Guys, here's the deal. Everybody listen. Everybody listen. In a couple seconds here, I'm going to tell you we're going to do the Jared Goff chant. You guys keep it going until you're the last person on the phone line. I can already see that there's a couple people like Sean from Clarkston was loud. And then Eric from Lansing got crazy. Rachel from Detroit. You're insane. The others, you guys got to get louder. We're going to start the Jared Goff chant. We got to do it in unison. We're going to pick the loudest person to be at the Lions game tonight, okay? Are we ready? All right, drive safe, be careful, nobody get in an accident. On the count of three, ready? One, two, three. Someone's going to throw up. Who's our quarterback? I thought they'd at least get themselves in unison. Who's ulcer? Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh my God. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. We got. Hold on. Stop for a second. Stop. Okay. All right. Here we go. I got the winner. I got the winner. Oh, look at these guys. Oh, wow. 01:50:05 - 01:50:07 | Speaker 5:

01:50:15 - 01:50:18 | Speaker 4:

01:50:22 - 01:50:24 | Speaker 4:

I drive all day.

01:50:24 - 01:50:26 | Speaker 5:

I'm a state plumbing inspector.

01:50:26 - 01:50:35 | Speaker 4:

When you're driving like that and you're doing this, you know in the car are people looking at you as they're like 10 and 2 there was uh there was a

01:50:35 - 01:50:42 | Speaker 5:

lady behind me laughing so she had to have been listening oh my god well congratulations this is

01:51:04 - 01:51:12 | Speaker 6:

Lions coach Dan Campbell, do you think about Mojo in the morning a lot? That's all I think about, man. We hear you, Dan. We appreciate you listening to the show.

01:51:12 - 01:51:19 | Speaker 7:

That's all I can think about is you guys and how I set you up for the best possible advantage I can give you to have a season. I swear to you, man.

01:51:19 - 01:51:30 | Speaker 6:

Thank you, Dan. We just want to make sure you're not the same old Lions after all this is done. I just need you to trust me. That's all. Okay? We trust you. Please. After hearing today's show, Coach Campbell, do you have any advice for this show?

01:51:30 - 01:51:31 | Speaker 7:

Let's be better tomorrow.

01:51:33 - 01:52:09 | Speaker 4:

Coach Campbell was listening to that thing right there. He's been going, man, Mojo, what the hell are you doing? I don't know. You know what? Sometimes you do something that's good, and sometimes you do something that's bad. But you know what I know? Guarantee you we had a lot of ratings during that one. People wanted to win tickets. That's all that matters, by the way. Sometimes you don't need to do good radio to get good radio ratings. We're proof of that. Let's give you a chance right now to win Jingle Ball tickets. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. 95th caller, you're going to get a shot right now. 844-MOJO-LIVE. Do not do anything other than dial us up for a chance to go to Jingle Ball.

01:52:10 - 01:52:21 | Speaker 6:

This guy has definitely cheated on more than a diet in his life. Another world-famous War of the Roses happens at 9.05. On Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning is Dirty on the 30.

01:52:22 - 01:52:36 | Speaker 4:

All right, we'll get you caught up. on what's trending right now in the Dirty on the 30. Lydia, do go to the bathroom while we're doing this, and we will grab a winner ourselves. So you do not have to wait. There's nothing worse, by the way, than not having a bathroom close enough.

01:52:37 - 01:52:39 | Speaker 2:

Although I kind of want her to comment on this first story, but that's okay.

01:52:39 - 01:52:42 | Speaker 1:

No, I'm going to stay here because I'm still talking to Richard. I like him.

01:52:42 - 01:52:45 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Is he a nice guy, by the way? Do we like Richard as this guy?

01:52:46 - 01:52:46 | Speaker 1:

Very nice guy.

01:52:47 - 01:53:47 | Speaker 2:

I have to give Lydia credit for this first story, by the way. She is my source because she's on all of like the Swifty Facebook pages and groups and stuff. But Taylor Swift finishing out her Eras tour in Vancouver this weekend. But some American Swifties are absolutely freaking out right now. Why? Because they have DUIs and they're just now realizing they can't get into Canada. so people are are literally creating groups to try to figure out like can I get in because this is a felony um or should I just like one person's like I'm I'm flying to Seattle and then my plan was to drive into Vancouver on Saturday morning but should I just sell my tickets now and enjoy my time in Seattle versus try to risk it and get across the border there's one group that says you You are better off consulting with an immigration lawyer to figure out your options at this point if you really want to get into Vancouver and you've got a DUI on your record.

01:53:47 - 01:53:59 | Speaker 3:

And I found out more about this. Canada sees all DUIs as like a criminal offense and won't let you in. So it doesn't matter if it's like a misdemeanor or felony or how you plead out. Canada doesn't care.

01:54:00 - 01:54:02 | Speaker 4:

Do they throw you in jail when you get one there?

01:54:02 - 01:54:04 | Speaker 3:

No, they just won't. They just turn you around.

01:54:04 - 01:54:05 | Speaker 4:

Oh, okay.

01:54:05 - 01:54:12 | Speaker 2:

They turn you around. And, but I mean, there are literally people on some of these Facebook groups that are like, you know, I will buy your tickets.

01:54:13 - 01:54:21 | Speaker 1:

That was me. That's one of those commenters. But there's like 10 plus posts about this DUI. They like made its own forum. Yeah. So people can get advice.

01:54:21 - 01:54:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I mean, it's a thing. It would be a problem.

01:54:24 - 01:54:29 | Speaker 4:

Call TicketFixPro.com, TicketFixPro.com and get rid of your DUI before it happens.

01:54:29 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 2:

Some craziness happening over at Good Morning America. It sounds like they're dealing with what we dealt with in our old Farmington Hills studio. Their studios are decrepit and a disaster. Good Morning America reportedly has seen a huge, huge dip in the ratings. They're losing out big time to the Today Show. But this is as Disney and ABC are migrating from their former New York City Manhattan headquarters to a new shiny building in downtown.

01:55:00 - 01:55:44 | Speaker 1:

the Hudson building, downtown New York City, not downtown Detroit, because we have a Hudson building obviously being built as well. But yeah, some staffers, however, are still being forced to work in the old headquarters on the Upper West Side, where there's no Wi-Fi, no heat. The antenna ripped off the building over the weekend. And there's a weird smell and nobody is choosing to do anything about it. Because to my understanding, the building is going to be demolished to make room for a new high rise they had a mice and a flea infestation last year they dealt with that and now this could you imagine working no wi-fi no heat bad smell infestation and the higher-ups are like sorry well like the cast is working out of this brand new building they had a cool studio

01:55:44 - 01:55:47 | Speaker 3:

though they were in the times square studios and those were actually kind of neat studios

01:55:47 - 01:55:56 | Speaker 1:

somebody was talking about i've been in that building though when i when i did the uh regis and Kelly thing, it's just very, very, very, very old.

01:55:58 - 01:56:04 | Speaker 3:

It's weird that nobody thought of the fact that they need to have their news operation. Wi-Fi? Yeah.

01:56:05 - 01:56:37 | Speaker 1:

But that was us. That was us for a little bit. A couple of weeks ago. Flava Flav claims he was kicked out of the Backstreet Boys green room backstage at NBC's Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting that went down, also in New York City last night. Tweeted this story. It's no longer there because he deleted it. And I'll get to that in just a second. But he said he was invited to the tree lighting. But he claims when he got together with the Backstreet Boys in their dressing room, security came in and allegedly told him that NBC didn't want him in the area. And they asked him to leave.

01:56:47 - 01:56:49 | Speaker 3:

Did you see that? I did not do anything.

01:56:49 - 01:56:56 | Speaker 1:

I saw it. I know, that was the weirdest, weirdest thing. But that's very, okay. I'll be right back.

01:56:56 - 01:57:00 | Speaker 3:

Okay, that was weird. All of a sudden, it just randomly takes over our studio.

01:57:00 - 01:57:31 | Speaker 1:

Okay, he, as in Flava Flav, went on to describe what he views as a very contradictory situation. He wrote, at the same time, he gets kicked out. At the same time, their social media woman came up and asked me to capture social content. Flav finished his tweet asking, what did I ever do to NBC or anyone? All I ever do is try to spread joy and love and think what I did at NBC for the Olympics. He deleted that tweet, and then he retweeted, I deleted my tweet, but my spirit is broken. So something's happening.

01:57:31 - 01:57:42 | Speaker 3:

Disrespectful. You know what else is interesting is, do you remember that the Backstreet Boys were supposed to do the Rockefeller Center thing, and their big special when they did our Jingle Ball, and then that whole story came out.

01:57:43 - 01:57:45 | Speaker 1:

Was it last year or the year before? It was a year before. It was two years ago. Yeah.

01:57:45 - 01:57:52 | Speaker 3:

That story came out about Nick. So at least they must be thinking that that story's a past.

01:57:52 - 01:58:41 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, $15.8 million every 60 seconds. That is how much U.S. consumers spent in two hours on Monday night. U.S. consumers spent a total of $13.3 billion on Cyber Monday, you guys, making it the biggest shopping day in history. Consumers spent a record $41 billion across the five days beginning Thanksgiving Day. Online spending on actual Thanksgiving and Black Friday were up 10.2% over last year. And Cyber Monday was just absolutely humongous. Inflation, huh? Do we have an answer as to what's going on? Yes, but it's very technical and very nerdy. For all of today's dirty, catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

01:58:42 - 01:58:59 | Speaker 2:

but what is that i finally told smith i'm like mom will go to jail if you go to school without a winter coat because like why he wants her to go to jail maybe that is crazy how kids won't wear

01:59:50 - 02:00:03 | Speaker 3:

they don't and then they leave their coats behind yes what is the like it's not i don't know if i don't think it's fashion i don't know what the story is maybe the like even if you got them a cool winter coat and then they leave the cool ones behind and they cost you

02:00:03 - 02:00:08 | Speaker 4:

money they're not spending their own money that's it they don't know the value of a dollar they need

02:00:08 - 02:00:20 | Speaker 3:

02:00:20 - 02:00:32 | Speaker 2:

have the best time awesome i'm so excited um i'm aging myself but my husband was head of security We got Tiki Bobs, and I worked at Tiki Bobs. Oh, my God. Oh, Tiki Bobs. I know.

02:00:32 - 02:00:36 | Speaker 3:

So you remember everybody from the radio station working out at Tiki Bobs.

02:00:37 - 02:00:44 | Speaker 2:

Absolutely. But Jason Derulo came and visited us once, and I have a picture with him. So now I get to tell my kids that I get to see him again.

02:00:44 - 02:00:55 | Speaker 3:

That's, by the way, we need to bring back Tiki Bobs. Somebody needs to figure that out. If Stick is listening, let's bring back Tiki Bobs. I'll go into business with you, Stick. All right. Have a great one today, okay?

02:00:55 - 02:00:56 | Speaker 4:

Thank you.

02:00:56 - 02:01:19 | Speaker 3:

All right. Hold on one second. It's Mojo in the Morning Show. War of the Roses is coming up here in a little bit. We are your home for that. Busting cheaters. Stick around. Kevin, this must be something because when you brought this up this morning, Shannon and then a couple other people that were around here were all like, oh, I hate when this happens, when people will talk to you and they'll talk on the speaker.

02:01:20 - 02:02:45 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I mean, you do this a lot, and sometimes I do it as well, But it's not when you call someone that's an adult and they have you on speakerphone. Although I do think if you have somebody on speakerphone, you should tell them that they're on speakerphone. But this is a situation where I have shared parenting with Josiah's mom. So this is dealing with my child. And Jasmine, who's Josiah's mom, and I are in a tremendous space right now. We are the best to each other that I think we've ever been. I love that. And, man, I love it, too. And I'm so thankful to God that we're in this place because it hasn't always been that way. And it's been the courts have been involved has been extremely tough. Yeah. And I'm glad we are where we are. But she has been doing this thing for a while and I don't I don't like it. And but I didn't really realize it. And it's when I called Josiah to speak to him. You can hear her in the background because he's on speakerphone. And it's almost like in the beginning, it felt like she was monitoring everything I had to say to him or she was like listening to everything I had to say to him. And I felt like if I wanted to have a personal conversation with my son, I couldn't. And it kind of triggered me yesterday. I called him and sometimes I'll talk to her, like, you know, because I don't want to just be like, it used to be, we're Josiah. As soon as she answered the phone, hello, like, you know, I ain't even really trying to talk to you. But now we have our own conversations. But she'll still be there when I'm talking to Josiah. I'm like, damn, can I just talk to my mans real quick?

02:02:45 - 02:02:58 | Speaker 3:

Do you think that she is doing this, like keeping him on speaker? or do you think he is? Because he could be doing multiple things. Like, I've seen Josiah sometimes where you'd be talking to him and he's able to, like, play his iPad thing while he's doing the time.

02:02:58 - 02:03:17 | Speaker 4:

I think it could be a mixture of both. But, again, earlier on in this co-parenting relationship that we had, it felt like it was intentional. Like, I'm going to listen to this conversation. And watch what you say. Yeah, or just, like, I don't, it just felt like a controlling thing. Like, this is my phone. Like, you know, like that kind of energy.

02:03:17 - 02:03:19 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you ever tell him, can you take me off speakerphone?

02:03:20 - 02:03:40 | Speaker 4:

I used to when he was younger. Because he used to make me feel like incredibly weird. Like, can I just talk to you? And I felt like he couldn't have a full conversation the way that he wanted to. Because in some weird way, he had to like appease his mom with what he said. It's like he was almost like a puppet in a certain way. Like, how he talked to me in person was completely different than on speakerphone with his mom in the same room.

02:03:40 - 02:03:41 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:03:41 - 02:03:42 | Speaker 4:

Like, it wasn't like I was talking to my son.

02:03:43 - 02:04:30 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yeah. It's a thing. And for, so for my kids, it's, they don't do like, they don't really have phones, but they have iPads. And so when they call me from their dad's house or when they call their dad from my house, it's always on FaceTime. And that to me is really super strange too, because I always will try to leave the room. Like if, if Luster Smith is calling their dad, I will try to leave the room and let them have a private conversation. But a lot of times, like if they're at his house, they'll be like, or if they're at my house and they're calling him they'll be like here's mom say hi yeah say hi mom and i'm like hi right yeah you know for sure it is it's really um like you want you obviously want to keep that communication open and for them to have that communication but at the same time it can be

02:04:30 - 02:04:53 | Speaker 3:

really uncomfortable right for real do you uh god man i gotta tell you that uh when i heard some of the stories sometimes with people who are in divorces i'm so happy that we never got a divorce just because I can't imagine how tough it must be for everybody. But it feels sometimes like the kids don't even realize the stuff that we realize. Like, Josiah is not caring, Nick.

02:04:53 - 02:05:23 | Speaker 1:

Which is a great thing. I was just about to say, it's so interesting hearing this from the parents' perspective because as a kid... I remember going through it, but I also have a huge appreciation for the way that my dad handled it. Looking at the entire situation from adult eyes and seeing what was going on is very interesting to be like, wow. Y'all put up with a lot very professionally to foster our relationships with both parents at the same time.

02:05:23 - 02:05:38 | Speaker 2:

You do your best to because you don't want your children to have to feel the angst and the pain and the stress of what is a stressful situation. Or to choose. Yeah, you try to hide that from them in a certain way, but it gets tough. What's up, Bethany? Hi.

02:05:39 - 02:06:10 | Speaker 5:

Hi. I'm a divorced parent of a few kids, and they use speakerphone all the time because they don't know how to talk on the phone without the speaker for some reason. Like, they don't understand that. It's so true. Yeah, I actually have heard Kev on the phone with Josiah's mom.

02:06:11 - 02:06:21 | Speaker 3:

And I got to tell you, it's a very healthy relationship. So I think Josiah probably realizes that it's healthy. and he's probably like, well, why can't we just have this conversation with everybody?

02:06:21 - 02:06:22 | Speaker 2:

It's healthy now.

02:06:23 - 02:06:24 | Speaker 3:

It wasn't before?

02:06:24 - 02:06:25 | Speaker 2:

I'm not even thinking of that. Hell no.

02:06:26 - 02:06:26 | Speaker 3:

Really?

02:06:26 - 02:06:29 | Speaker 2:

And Josiah and I have had –

02:06:29 - 02:06:31 | Speaker 3:

Would Josiah ever notice that it wasn't healthy?

02:06:31 - 02:07:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, for sure. He's noticed a considerable change, and I've been vocal about that change as well. Like, I don't try to hide anything from Josiah. Like, I've told Josiah – this is like within the past month or two, vividly remember Josiah being in the backseat and expressing to him how I like where the relationship is with his mother and I and how we are more intentional with showcasing the positivity in our relationship because we want to show Josiah that even though the situation isn't the best, and I hate that my child has to go through, you know, two separate households in a perfect world. You know, we grew up under the same roof and all of that, but we try to make the best of our mess.

02:07:10 - 02:07:10 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

02:07:10 - 02:07:27 | Speaker 3:

um i uh i do find it interesting when i hear some of the times the divorce situations where you'll hear like people like recording the conversations and all that stuff and i'm going man your kids have to realize that that's that's going on i've done that before too

02:07:27 - 02:07:51 | Speaker 2:

really yeah because look bro i think mike epps had a joke one time he was like whoever calls the police first everyone going to jail and we ain't never had no domestic issues i would never put my hands on a woman anything like that but you have these moments where somebody is acting so out of control and saying things that are so crazy you like man let me just have this just in case and i've never had to use anything like that i've deleted it i have phones but i've recorded

02:07:51 - 02:08:32 | Speaker 3:

some stuff for sure um a couple texters here uh that aren't picking up their phones and lydia's been trying to call them 586 says uh my baby daddy always will promise things and never deliver and I want to have it for proof that I can hear this and hear that story. And then 734 says, I like to keep it on speaker phone because I feel like sometimes they're talking bad about me and I want to make sure that I have the ability to be able to know what is said and what is not said. What parent, why would you talk bad about the person that is your child's parent to your child?

02:08:32 - 02:08:33 | Speaker 1:

I'm sure it happens.

02:08:33 - 02:08:34 | Speaker 3:

Oh, all the time.

02:08:35 - 02:08:42 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but estrangement causes a power dynamic that you can manipulate in separations.

02:08:42 - 02:08:45 | Speaker 3:

But what you're doing is you're messing your kid up.

02:08:45 - 02:08:50 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but the person who's causing the problem is not thinking about that. They're thinking of their own situation.

02:08:53 - 02:08:58 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Dana? Hi, it's Mojo in the morning. What's going on? Hi, Dana.

02:08:59 - 02:09:01 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Mojo. Good morning.

02:09:01 - 02:09:02 | Speaker 3:

What's up, bud?

02:09:02 - 02:09:29 | Speaker 4:

So, yeah, you know, I was married a long time ago, and this guy, her ex-husband now again, but he would stand at the back door and, like, cross his arms when I would drop off my daughter and just be totally trying to intimidate me. And that was a bummer. And every time I did call her, she would make sure that he had to listen to the conversation.

02:09:29 - 02:09:31 | Speaker 1:

That is ridiculous.

02:09:31 - 02:09:34 | Speaker 3:

And it's your child that you're going to pick up.

02:09:34 - 02:09:34 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, absolutely not.

02:09:35 - 02:09:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I think, I mean, they were married, they got a divorce, but they got married again. My ex-wife is something else. I mean, we really got divorced because of religious differences. I was, I'm Catholic, and she was the devil.

02:09:54 - 02:09:58 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. I didn't know where that was going, but I'm glad you were there.

02:09:58 - 02:09:58 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God, Dana.

02:09:59 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 6:

You're all right.

02:10:00 - 02:10:02 | Speaker 5:

Oh, that comment made my day.

02:10:02 - 02:10:04 | Speaker 2:

Felicia, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning, Felicia.

02:10:06 - 02:10:37 | Speaker 5:

Hi, yeah. So I had, well, I have a 15-year-old, and I do co-parent with his father who lives in a different state. However, when he was 11 and 12, he would be on speakerphone just because, I don't know, he just always used speakerphone. But what I liked about it was that I would actually hear the other parent asking questions about me and my parenting. So that's why, like, it's actually really weird how it is different where there is parents that do want to be on speaker or that do want to listen in so they can get information from the child, which is annoying.

02:10:37 - 02:10:45 | Speaker 2:

Again, that's bad. That's so bad. Your poor kid needs to be a kid and not the mediator between the two of you, you know, people.

02:10:45 - 02:10:52 | Speaker 1:

And when we're on the phone, it should be trying to build a relationship between the parent and the child, not talking about the other parent.

02:10:52 - 02:11:00 | Speaker 2:

And honestly, I would hope that you talk healthily about each other, because then all it does is it gives them the feeling that they're loved. Can I ask?

02:11:01 - 02:11:02 | Speaker 6:

Oh, no, no, no. Go ahead.

02:11:02 - 02:11:06 | Speaker 2:

I wanted to grab some more. I got to get to War of the Roses. So what is your question?

02:11:06 - 02:11:15 | Speaker 6:

What if a kid is uncomfortable with the relationship with one of their parents and wants the help of the parent that they're currently with?

02:11:15 - 02:11:34 | Speaker 2:

You know what's funny is whenever we do divorce things, I hear the pain that your mom caused you in some of the questions that you ask. Cause I can say you, you, you're my, yeah, some things I didn't need to say directly. No, but it's interesting though, because of, I mean, cause you look at Shannon and Kevin, their situations with the, you know, their divorces and stuff.

02:11:34 - 02:11:35 | Speaker 6:

A lot different than what I was doing.

02:11:35 - 02:11:36 | Speaker 2:

Do you wish you had one of those?

02:11:37 - 02:11:41 | Speaker 6:

Oh, absolutely. I don't think people realize how horrific the divorce my parents went through was.

02:11:41 - 02:11:42 | Speaker 2:

And your mom was not nice.

02:11:42 - 02:11:42 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

02:11:43 - 02:11:44 | Speaker 2:

Um, Israel, what's up?

02:11:44 - 02:11:46 | Speaker 3:

Religious differences. Hey, how you guys doing?

02:11:47 - 02:11:47 | Speaker 2:

What's going on?

02:11:48 - 02:12:20 | Speaker 3:

In my childhood, I had the same thing. and my kid unfortunately he's going through the same thing uh right now he's 19 he's 18 he still goes to school and last year well the last three years he was living with me he was on point with his school and all that now he's i just got his uh report card and he's starting to fail i mean i'm not trying to talk bad about the mom but i mean it's just crazy how this is that how kids get falling into this situation because of two parents.

02:12:20 - 02:12:25 | Speaker 2:

Well, how are you trying to do to make things better then? And that's what you got to be thinking about.

02:12:25 - 02:12:34 | Speaker 3:

In all reality, man, if the other person is not putting their part into it, there's no working out, man.

02:12:34 - 02:12:59 | Speaker 2:

Well, then look at Megan's situation then. Her dad was in a, and I don't know your story fully, Israel, but her dad had to be the dad and mom then and step up and do the right thing and it sounds to me and and i don't know for facts on this but i'm i'm assuming because i've never heard your dad even say a word bad about your mom today he just doesn't talk about her correct and he never did

02:12:59 - 02:13:05 | Speaker 6:

during that's why i brought it up earlier yeah he never did during their divorce either and israel

02:13:05 - 02:13:11 | Speaker 2:

i think that with your kid even your kids 18 or 19 years old they will respect you more if they

02:13:11 - 02:13:19 | Speaker 6:

don't hear you trash talk absolutely and now they learn eventually you know i mean it's it's

02:13:19 - 02:13:31 | Speaker 3:

unfortunately that we go through this but it happens and it's life we just got to go uh grow up from it and not try to follow their footsteps but sometimes it just happens i know but you know

02:13:31 - 02:14:05 | Speaker 2:

what if you're the parent they will come back to you i look at megan's relationship with her dad again as this they will come to you and they'll realize later in life man this guy had a lot of patience and a lot of love for me that he kept a lot of that out of my life so you have to be as you know we we can't bubble wrap our kids but we can keep them from hearing things that are going to be more harmful than if they fall and hurt themselves so thank you for the call buddy I appreciate it and I wish you uh nothing but the best um Shanice has been on for a while so I'm gonna grab you as a last call and then I gotta move on what's going on Shanice

02:14:05 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 4:

hi um so i text in um i completely agree with kev with the child being on speaker because early on my daughter when she would talk with she would talk just on the phone regular no speaker she would go in a separate room but as she got older and she realized the type of relationship that they have she would put the phone on speaker because she did not have the greatest relationship with him but it just made her okay like okay he can still hear me he knows that i'm here but i'm not really here listening to anything that he's saying so she was doing it to protect herself yes and she's 12 now going on 13 and so she didn't start doing that until she started getting older and realizing okay my mom wasn't doing this for her she was doing this so that i would feel more comfortable and now i know exactly what's going on with the relationship so she

02:15:00 - 02:15:02 | Speaker 6:

He made that decision by herself to put him on speaker.

02:15:03 - 02:15:08 | Speaker 3:

Well, good luck. It sounds like you're her safety.

02:15:09 - 02:15:17 | Speaker 6:

I am. I am. But she also has a stepfather. He's been in her life since she was two. She's good now. It's a village.

02:15:17 - 02:15:19 | Speaker 3:

That's good. Well, good job on finding that guy.

02:15:20 - 02:15:21 | Speaker 6:

Thank you.

02:15:21 - 02:15:22 | Speaker 3:

All right. Have a great morning, okay?

02:15:23 - 02:15:24 | Speaker 6:

You too.

02:15:25 - 02:15:38 | Speaker 1:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo, three great stations, one stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning live.

02:15:39 - 02:15:53 | Speaker 3:

Oh, this War of the Roses was interesting. I'm not even going to solicit for any more War of the Roses because after this War of the Roses, this might have been a capper of cappers. Take a listen. It's Mojo in the Morning.

02:15:53 - 02:15:59 | Speaker 1:

Catching cheaters. I'm proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

02:15:59 - 02:16:04 | Speaker 3:

Allie thinks her boyfriend is cheating on her. Allie, why is that?

02:16:06 - 02:16:11 | Speaker 7:

There's just been so many weird things that have been happening, and I just have no way of explaining it.

02:16:11 - 02:16:13 | Speaker 3:

What are some of the weird things?

02:16:14 - 02:16:27 | Speaker 7:

He's the type of guy that's always working. He has so much stuff in his car, and now his car is just always clean. It smells good now. It doesn't make sense.

02:16:27 - 02:16:40 | Speaker 3:

He's always been kind of messy. He's in his car, works in his car, and now his car is clean. So suddenly he's focused on that, which is interesting because we always hear stories about people cleaning themselves up when they are starting to date.

02:16:41 - 02:16:41 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

02:16:42 - 02:16:44 | Speaker 3:

What was the other thing that you were going to say?

02:16:45 - 02:16:59 | Speaker 7:

I might sound just like so silly, but I have access to his Netflix account, and there's a lot of random movies on there that are half watched and it's these are movies he

02:16:59 - 02:17:11 | Speaker 5:

would never watch and they're all on there now i know a lot of guys that get into the spirit this time of year and love a good cheesy movie could he just be one of those guys

02:17:11 - 02:17:21 | Speaker 3:

no he's really not my only other question then by the way you're very sexy with your voice I don't know.

02:17:21 - 02:17:22 | Speaker 5:

She's calm.

02:17:22 - 02:17:23 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay.

02:17:23 - 02:17:38 | Speaker 5:

She's calming me out. The only other question that I have then is some people start therapy, get their life in order. As he started therapy, is that why his car is clean? No, nothing has changed.

02:17:38 - 02:17:40 | Speaker 3:

Are we speaking from experience on that?

02:17:40 - 02:17:55 | Speaker 2:

Absolutely speaking from experience on that one. But I can see where, like, all the things start to, like, pile on and your, you know, your spidey senses go up. I completely get that. One is not suspicious. All of these together.

02:17:55 - 02:17:55 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:17:55 - 02:17:56 | Speaker 3:

That's weird.

02:17:58 - 02:18:08 | Speaker 4:

You don't think so, Kev? This all sounds ridiculous to me, but I'm not trying to be that guy. I mean, I ain't in a relationship. She got a hunch, she's got a hunch. Just because the old boy cleaned his car out.

02:18:08 - 02:18:14 | Speaker 2:

But when you know your person, do you know what I mean? And then they start to do really different things, like movies in the car.

02:18:14 - 02:18:23 | Speaker 4:

And my car is filthy. And sometimes you get those moments you look around and be like, why am I living like this? Maybe he could have just had that moment.

02:18:24 - 02:18:26 | Speaker 2:

Maybe. But then like three days later, it goes back.

02:18:27 - 02:18:39 | Speaker 3:

We're going to do a War of the Roses and we're going to see where he sends a dozen free roses. Can you mute your phone so that we can call him and not have him feel like somebody else is on the phone line?

02:18:41 - 02:18:41 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

02:18:42 - 02:18:44 | Speaker 3:

All right, we're hoping that the roses go to Allie.

02:18:52 - 02:18:52 | Speaker 6:

Hello?

02:18:54 - 02:18:55 | Speaker 2:

Hi, is this Spencer?

02:18:58 - 02:18:59 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, who's this?

02:19:32 - 02:19:43 | Speaker 2:

I promise you this will take less than 30 seconds. Will it beep if you get another call so you know? And then you can just switch over? Hello?

02:19:44 - 02:19:54 | Speaker 3:

He hung up the phone. Oh, okay. Call him back. Call him back. Hold on.

02:20:00 - 02:20:12 | Speaker 2:

Spencer? Spencer? Hello?

02:20:14 - 02:20:14 | Speaker 1:

Hello?

02:20:15 - 02:20:20 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Spencer, hi. I'm so sorry, I think we got disconnected. Did you get that other call?

02:20:20 - 02:20:22 | Speaker 1:

Oh. Uh, yeah, yeah.

02:20:23 - 02:20:23 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so you're good to go?

02:20:26 - 02:20:28 | Speaker 1:

What, I'm sorry, what is this again?

02:20:28 - 02:20:37 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so if you answer two survey questions for me, we're going to give you roses, free roses today. Super quick, super easy, not going to ask you for credit card info, anything like that.

02:20:40 - 02:20:40 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

02:20:41 - 02:20:44 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Have you purchased flowers in the last six months, Spencer?

02:20:45 - 02:20:46 | Speaker 1:

No.

02:20:47 - 02:20:49 | Speaker 2:

Do you plan on purchasing flowers in the next six months?

02:20:53 - 02:20:54 | Speaker 1:

I don't know, maybe.

02:20:54 - 02:21:32 | Speaker 2:

okay as a thank you for participating in that roses bloom.com survey i'm now authorized to provide you with that dozen long stemmed red roses so i'm gonna go ahead and i need a first and a last name of who you'd like to send some flowers to today can you hear me spencer okay do you have anybody that you'd want to send flowers to Okay, and what is her phone number?

02:21:35 - 02:21:43 | Speaker 1:

It's 6-8-9.

02:21:44 - 02:21:45 | Speaker 2:

Okay, and what's her relationship to you?

02:21:49 - 02:21:51 | Speaker 1:

Is that part of the survey?

02:21:51 - 02:22:42 | Speaker 2:

or um i so it it basically makes me fill out a profile for you so that the next time you order flowers it'll just be a quicker process so i just need to check a box uh friend okay and red rose is okay just making sure sure okay and then um spencer we do something unique at roses bloom.com and instead of sending a paper card with the flowers brit is going to get a text message when the delivery comes and it's going to have a voice memo attached to it and i'm going to record that voice memo with you right now and you can just say anything that you could would say on a card you could make it a little longer if you want and then she'll be able to play that and know who they're from okay do you get that okay i'm gonna count you down and then and you just start talking. Three, two, one.

02:22:48 - 02:22:59 | Speaker 1:

Hey babe, hope you are having a great day. XO.

02:23:05 - 02:23:13 | Speaker 2:

Is that it? You don't, is that it? Is that, do you want to record it again or was that good?

02:23:15 - 02:23:18 | Speaker 1:

Yes, I mean, do you want me to record it again? Is that not good?

02:23:24 - 02:23:24 | Unknown:

No.

02:23:25 - 02:23:39 | Speaker 2:

No, that's, that was great. I do have to let you know that this, guys, sorry. I do have to let you know, I do have to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality. Hang on, I need a minute.

02:23:43 - 02:23:54 | Speaker 3:

Excuse me? Spencer? Hello? Spencer, I'm going to jump on here just to wrap up everything because we're having a little technical issue.

02:23:55 - 02:23:56 | Speaker 1:

Uh-huh.

02:23:56 - 02:24:08 | Speaker 3:

But I just want to let you know that before you go any further, I want to let you know that your girlfriend, Allie, is on the phone and just heard you send flowers to another girl.

02:24:10 - 02:24:23 | Speaker 1:

Before I go any further, what do you mean before I go any further? I thought we were, I don't understand. Can you tell me who this girl is? What?

02:24:25 - 02:24:38 | Speaker 3:

Spencer, Allie was worried that something was going on, that you were cheating on her. Who's this girl that you're sending flowers to? A friend.

02:24:39 - 02:24:54 | Speaker 2:

Why would you send them to a friend instead of your girlfriend, Allie? Spencer?

02:24:57 - 02:24:58 | Speaker 3:

He hung up the phone.

02:25:00 - 02:25:23 | Speaker 7:

I've heard his feelings. I agree. Allie, I have no idea what you're doing. And I feel horrible for you. Allie, I'm going to have you hang here for one second, and we're going to figure out something. Hold on. This is the home of the War of the Roses.

02:25:23 - 02:25:24 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the morning.

02:25:24 - 02:25:30 | Speaker 1:

Call Mojo in the morning. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548.

02:25:31 - 02:25:43 | Speaker 6:

I do have to let you know that this... Sorry. I do have to let you know... I do have to let you know that this call is being recorded for quality. Hang on, I need a minute.

02:25:45 - 02:25:47 | Speaker 7:

What was going on? It was crazy.

02:25:48 - 02:26:02 | Speaker 6:

He was just such a... I don't want to be mean. Such an interesting personality. He was interesting. And I could... And I kept looking at you, Megan. And you were laughing, and that was just making it worse. Because I'll say it. That just never happens. You're too nice.

02:26:03 - 02:26:10 | Speaker 5:

That kid was an idiot. It was just weird. He threw me really off.

02:26:10 - 02:26:12 | Speaker 7:

The video of this will be priceless to see up on TikTok.

02:26:13 - 02:26:15 | Speaker 3:

You are high as a f***ing kite.

02:26:15 - 02:26:25 | Speaker 7:

I don't know what it was, but it was interesting. George wore the roses just a few moments ago. Allie heard her boyfriend Spencer sending flowers to some girl named Britt. What did you want to say?

02:26:25 - 02:26:35 | Speaker 8:

that guy was driving me nuts i almost wanted to drive off the road on purpose i kept thinking i kept thinking to myself if you guys don't cut that poor guy off

02:26:35 - 02:26:41 | Speaker 6:

we could be out here until lunch and then i was like can he hear me is that the issue or what is

02:26:41 - 02:26:53 | Speaker 7:

going on although i will oh my gosh i'll tell you some of the responses that he was saying though actually was were interesting like when when uh you know you were to ask him uh trying to give

02:26:53 - 02:27:00 | Speaker 5:

the legal work he's like huh why what's going on it felt like he hadn't spoken to a human being

02:27:00 - 02:27:12 | Speaker 8:

in years yeah oh i can hear shannon starting to giggle and then i can hear megan giggling in the background thinking this whole thing's falling apart it is uh misfit nicole what's going on

02:27:12 - 02:27:34 | Speaker 3:

it's mojo in the morning what's happening nicole hi good morning everybody what's that what do you want to say about this i told lydia i asked i'm like was he hot yeah like that was the hardest water roses to listen to i was yelling at my radio the whole time we were trying to uh talk

02:27:34 - 02:27:59 | Speaker 7:

to ali afterwards like ali is this normal and she was saying sometimes it is but sometimes it's not but she feels like he's changed a ton lately and somebody needs to explain this to me when you do and i'm not saying he's under the influence of anything because i can get sued for that But when you do dabble, when you do dabble, does it change, like, your cleaning? Like, because that was the thing. She wanted to know about it. Like, do you suddenly become, like, a chronic cleaner? Because if that's the case, maybe I need to...

02:27:59 - 02:28:17 | Speaker 3:

Here's the thing, because I dabble in recreation, right? Yeah. But it don't make you move fast. It make you move so long like a turtle unless he was on some speed or some meth. And he wasn't giving that energy. I don't know. Annie, girl, you could. I know. You could have your bullets. I know some people. Like, Annie, don't worry about it.

02:28:17 - 02:28:18 | Speaker 5:

I'm like, I'm still going.

02:28:19 - 02:28:21 | Speaker 7:

I'm telling you, we're having a day. I don't know what is happening today.

02:28:22 - 02:28:37 | Speaker 5:

It feels like a total meltdown. But I know some people that, like, if you dabble a little bit, you're the most annoying person to be around in the entire world. And for other people, you were the best employee, and you were super intensely focused on things. So maybe.

02:28:38 - 02:28:48 | Speaker 7:

I mean, I remember taking Adderall, and Adderall made me, like, I cleaned everything. I was the cleanest I've ever been. What's up? Who do we have here now? Is this Aaliyah?

02:28:49 - 02:28:50 | Speaker 4:

Hey, good morning.

02:28:50 - 02:28:52 | Speaker 7:

Good morning. What's going on?

02:28:52 - 02:29:03 | Speaker 4:

Not much. So I was thinking in my head, if this girl is only a friend, which is what he told his girlfriend, why would he call her babe in that little memo? Yeah. Yeah.

02:29:03 - 02:29:10 | Speaker 7:

This is not just a friend. Yeah, this is, there's something, there's something more going on there. You got a great point with that.

02:29:10 - 02:29:15 | Speaker 4:

And like waiting for a call at seven in the morning, that's also very suspicious.

02:29:15 - 02:29:22 | Speaker 7:

Well, we do the War of the Roses does happen, though, at a different time because we have to pre-tape these things. Thank God. Yeah, so it does.

02:29:23 - 02:29:23 | Speaker 2:

In this case.

02:29:23 - 02:29:26 | Speaker 7:

But it's not like it was late. What's up, Erica? Hi.

02:29:28 - 02:29:41 | Speaker 2:

Hey, what got me was when Mojo whispered, I said, this show has officially gone off the rails. The NeuroDivergent in me was like, if he doesn't speak up and answer these questions.

02:29:42 - 02:29:45 | Speaker 5:

I love when you just hear Mojo go, no.

02:29:45 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 7:

because i was just like you guys i was going say something what's going on here uh crystal what's up

02:30:00 - 02:30:07 | Speaker 5:

It's Mojo in the Morning, War of the Roses. If you missed it, you've got to go back and listen to it. But Shannon started laughing in the middle of the War of the Roses. What's up?

02:30:08 - 02:30:18 | Speaker 7:

Good morning. I think her girlfriend should definitely worry more about his IQ than him cheating. Oh, Lord. That might be the greatest comment of all.

02:30:18 - 02:30:28 | Speaker 8:

I have a full conversation. Yeah. Just good luck. If you've got time to get out, like yesterday, they said leave before Christmas. Now's your chance. Time.

02:30:28 - 02:30:33 | Speaker 5:

Crystal, the best of all our calls. Thank you so much. We appreciate you.

02:30:34 - 02:30:35 | Speaker 8:

Have a good day, guys. Thank you.

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:32:04 - 02:32:31 | Speaker 5:

All right, Shannon with the last Dirty of the Morning. Getting excited. Lions game. Going to stay downtown all day today because I'm going to go to the Lions game tonight. And Kev and I are looking for somebody to house us at their luxurious apartment in downtown Detroit. Do you know anyone who... You know, I know that there's a couple of people that I know that have places. One says that they may be under the weather today, but the other one seems very healthy right now.

02:32:32 - 02:32:33 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no, she just dropped to the ground.

02:32:34 - 02:32:41 | Speaker 5:

And might have baked goods in their house because they do a lot of TikTok baking. Are they FoodSafe certified?

02:32:42 - 02:32:44 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to stab you.

02:32:44 - 02:32:46 | Speaker 5:

The dirty under 30 with Shannon. What's going on?

02:32:47 - 02:33:04 | Speaker 3:

Okay. So this murder that happened in New York City yesterday, Brian Thompson, the CEO of the insurance giant UnitedHealthcare, shot and killed outside of the Hilton Midtown Hotel in what police are now calling a targeted attack.

02:33:05 - 02:33:35 | Speaker 4:

Overnight, new video of what appears to be the man who shot and killed a top health insurance CEO in New York City before the attack, carrying what appears to be an e-bike battery possibly used in the getaway. Around 20 minutes later, police say the gunman was seen on surveillance video approaching UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, shooting the 50-year-old father of two multiple times before an investors conference. The gun jamming, but he clears the barrel and fires again before running through an alley, jumping on a bike and fleeing into Central Park.

02:33:35 - 02:33:40 | Speaker 2:

From watching the video, it does seem that he's proficient in the use of firearms as he was able to clear the malfunctions pretty quickly.

02:33:40 - 02:33:48 | Speaker 6:

Every indication is that this was a premeditated, preplanned, targeted attack.

02:33:48 - 02:34:38 | Speaker 4:

Sources now say bullet casings recovered at the scene have writing on them, including the words deny, defend, and depose. But police overnight not identifying a motive for the attack. Thompson's widow telling NBC he had received threats but saying she doesn't know the details. UnitedHealth is the largest private health insurer in the U.S. and made headlines recently after a massive cyber attack and for its controversial plan to buy a rival home health provider. Among companies in the health insurance market, UnitedHealth ranks highest when it comes to the percentage of claims denied, nearly twice the industry average. The brazen attack raising questions as to why Thompson, the leader of such a large corporation, did not have a security team. In addition to the bullet casings, police say they've recovered a water bottle and candy wrapper near the scene and a cell phone. The question now, was it the suspect's phone or a burner phone?

02:34:39 - 02:34:56 | Speaker 1:

It takes a while to develop forensics into a profile for DNA or fingerprint analysis. They already collected these things that are looking. The telephone is probably the easiest way to do it, and they're looking at that now, breaking it down. They believe all these things belong to the shooter. So he wasn't the professional that everybody thought he was.

02:34:56 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 3:

Kev found this, and I thought this was very interesting. if you

02:35:00 - 02:35:19 | Speaker 2:

Google the words that were found on those bullet casings to pose, deny, and defend. A book comes up called Delay, Deny, Defend, Why Insurance Companies Don't Pay Claims and What You Can Do About It. Interesting, right? Or interesting coincidence. No, I think that's very planned.

02:35:19 - 02:35:36 | Speaker 5:

It's something out of a movie. Somebody brought up, what is it? John Q. John Q, yeah. Where it's like they wouldn't do. I do. But they don't, you know, you didn't see Denzel and John Q go killing the CEO of the thing, but he did bring him in there, right, to take him hostage or whatever, right?

02:35:36 - 02:35:38 | Speaker 6:

He only had one bullet. Or it was the hospital guy. He had to kill himself.

02:35:39 - 02:35:39 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

02:35:39 - 02:35:46 | Speaker 3:

So I think it's very funny that I just joked about stabbing Kev right into a very serious murder story.

02:35:46 - 02:36:02 | Speaker 6:

But I do have a question, though, and I don't know, maybe like one of those bad publicity things for the company, so we may never know, but in that clip said he had a bottle of water and some candy. I want to know what the candy was. I don't know. What's the candy that a guy who's about to kill someone is just eating? Snickers bar.

02:36:03 - 02:36:09 | Speaker 4:

Hungry by waste. Is it your favorite thing ever and it might be the last thing? Like, if I'm going to get caught, am I going to have my last favorite thing?

02:36:09 - 02:36:30 | Speaker 2:

Oh, weird thoughts. Wow. Okay. Barstool sports founder Dave Portnoy trending this morning after revealing that he still shares a bank account with his estranged wife. So he split from his wife Renee back in 2017. They never formally got divorced. And he says he still lets her have access to his $250 million fortune whenever she wants.

02:36:30 - 02:36:53 | Speaker 1:

She's not like, give me half. And we've been separated legally for a long time. The judge said our agreement wasn't equitable to her. They're like, he's worth a lot more. You have to give half. She's like, I want half. Like, we pretty much agreed on how we do it. So we're going to do it in Florida. But we've had that joint bank account. And so forever. Like, I trust her implicitly.

02:36:53 - 02:37:43 | Speaker 2:

Did you guys see this controversy that's happening with Britney Spears and her new jewelry line that she's been teasing for a while now? So she's been talking about this one-of-a-kind jewelry brand, Be Tiny, is what it's called, on her social media. And she's claimed all along that the pieces are her own original designs. Well, online sleuths are now looking at the photos of Britney's one-of-a-kind original jewelry. and they're like they are literally identical to those from other jewelry websites and i'm not just talking about like the necklaces and the rings and stuff i'm talking even the photos are the same photo except she'll put her her logo on it drop shipping yeah so just a heads up if you want to buy anything it's like you could go to a plethora of different sites and buy the exact same thing

02:37:43 - 02:37:48 | Speaker 4:

exactly yeah she needs another perfume a legitimate company to reach out and do another perfume

02:37:49 - 02:37:51 | Speaker 5:

Is she still relevant enough, though?

02:37:51 - 02:38:28 | Speaker 4:

I think her perfume was so iconic that, like, that could be a successful business. I never had hers. I had J-Lo's. I never had Britney's. But, like, look at how many companies are doing cool team-ups. Like, we just had, um, what was it? Was it Balenciaga and Skim? No, it wasn't Balenciaga. But who did Kourtney Kardashian's wedding dress that they were fighting about? Was it Dolce & Gabbana? Yes. So, Skims did, like, a Dolce & Gabbana collab, and, like, I think a lot of these, like, different big companies are now teaming up with each other. So, I think to do, like, a Britney Spears and fill-in the, like, perfume company.

02:38:29 - 02:38:54 | Speaker 2:

Charlie XCX is sharing how she now has nerve damage in her neck from going so hard on stage, particularly with Troye Sivan. She said the stage is an angry place for her. And she does a lot of damage, like a lot of physical damage to her body from performing. And she said that she's often in a lot of pain when she performs because of what she's done over the years.

02:38:54 - 02:38:57 | Speaker 6:

Is she going that hard or is she just being a brat?

02:38:57 - 02:39:11 | Speaker 4:

No, she's that cool. I got that. I got that. I got it. I'm dumb. Can I tell you really quickly, though, the best merch ever? Hayley Williams from Paramore injured her neck so severely. she got an x-ray of it and put it on a t-shirt and sold it as paramour merch so good for me

02:39:11 - 02:39:27 | Speaker 2:

headbanging on stage and lastly i teased this story earlier today the language learning company babble um has released a list of the words that are the most pronounced in 2024 by news anchors politicians and other public figures like radio hosts sitting across from me do you know what the

02:39:27 - 02:39:35 | Speaker 5:

number one name was what's that chapelle roan as you say most mispronounced chapel roan i told you

02:39:35 - 02:40:29 | Speaker 2:

guys yeah kamala harris's name was on there that's one zendaya a lot of people say zendaya but it's actually zendaya online fast fashion giant sheen yes sheen it's not sheen wow um the drug the weight loss drug semaglutide it's not semaglutide it's semaglutide and then the last name of a guy who's been in the dirty for the past two days Thank you.

02:40:00 - 02:40:06 | Speaker 1:

Barry Keegan is not Keegan or Keegan or Kagan or Kohen. It's Keegan.

02:40:07 - 02:40:12 | Speaker 3:

By the way, where has Kamala Harris been? Where do you want her to be?

02:40:12 - 02:40:13 | Speaker 2:

The White House?

02:40:13 - 02:40:19 | Speaker 3:

She has not. No, you haven't seen her at all. Like we had Biden doing the whole Hunter Biden thing.

02:40:19 - 02:40:20 | Speaker 2:

She's been laying low and very quiet.

02:40:20 - 02:40:40 | Speaker 3:

You haven't seen her doing anything or saying anything or like being out. I saw that one video she did last week over Thanksgiving from Hawaii, And people thought that she looked like she might have been drunk or something in it. But I think that I think that I'm surprised that we haven't seen her or heard from her since the election. I was drunk on Thanksgiving time.

02:40:41 - 02:40:45 | Speaker 2:

Do you think they're trying to do the more like peaceful transition of power thing?

02:40:45 - 02:40:58 | Speaker 3:

I don't know, because I think that, you know, have you seen like a bunch of people are turning against President Biden for pardoning Hunter? Yesterday, the governor of California, Gavin Newsom, came out and said that he thought that that was a horrible thing to do.

02:40:58 - 02:41:04 | Speaker 1:

But for all of today's Dirty, you can catch up on the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or MojoInTheMorning.com.

02:41:52 - 02:41:53 | Speaker 3:

Wait, she won what?

02:41:54 - 02:41:58 | Speaker 2:

She won Jingle Ball tickets, but I knew she wasn't going to take me, so now I've got to put it in. No, no, no.

02:41:59 - 02:41:59 | Speaker 3:

Hold on.

02:41:59 - 02:42:00 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh.

02:42:00 - 02:42:05 | Speaker 3:

Because we give them away every hour, so she must – was she last hour's winner that we just had?

02:42:05 - 02:42:08 | Speaker 2:

Oh, well, yeah, about an hour ago. I've been in the car for about an hour. Wow.

02:42:09 - 02:42:11 | Speaker 3:

That's craziness. Wow.

02:42:11 - 02:42:14 | Speaker 2:

I know. I've called you guys, like, every day, too, so this is awesome.

02:42:15 - 02:43:41 | Speaker 3:

Congratulations, Tia. You guys are going to be there, maybe even sitting next to each other. These tickets are given away like that. So listen to win tickets. Again, we'll have more tickets for you in the morning or go to Ticketmaster and get your tickets. It's Mojo in the Morning Show. So I hate to even bring this up because I think at some point people would just become, you know, numb to it or now annoyed by it. But we moved into these new studios. We got all kinds of technology that for some reason is kind of going crazy. And I was having a conversation yesterday with my Chaldean buddies, Martin Manna and Mike Sarafa. I love to see you down here. love them martin is by the way one of the funniest he might be the funniest human being ever i always i always joke say with him i it's amazing that this man rubs uh i was gonna say rub shoulders like what what body part is he rubbing elbows he rubs elbows with politicians you know what i mean governors and presidents and congress people and stuff uh but he's a great representative for the chaldean community and i was telling him i'm like yeah the studio is great but occasionally we get these like things that go in here like weird stuff that never happened in the old studio where you've probably heard them where things just get taken over like the literally this my system's gone into satellite mode which means i get no control over any of the controls so it sounds like everything's playing at the same time and um nobody can figure it out they all they all look at me like i'm the insane person like oh i don't it doesn't show up on the computer like that

02:43:41 - 02:43:46 | Speaker 1:

you know it's like you know this is all new it's the strangest thing today it happened two or three

02:43:46 - 02:44:47 | Speaker 3:

times yeah so we're we're having this conversation and we're talking about it and um uh i said to martin i go i don't know what it is and martin goes i know what it is this is what's that he goes it's the ribbon cutting thing that happened with jay towers i go what are you talking about and he said in our community in the chaldean community if there is a bad thing that has happened somewhere we bring in a religious figure like a priest and we have the priest come and re-bless everything to make it not bad i have a question yeah do we have any tinfoil around here i feel like you need a hat you're thinking it's one of those are you crazy person you're no but this i get this this is a religious thing this is a thing where it's like we had in it it always happens everything happens right around the same time that we all looked in this old studios at the tv camera on fox 2 and saw jay towers ribbon cutting remember that remember the feeling that

02:44:47 - 02:44:52 | Speaker 1:

we all had that one friday morning it was not it was not a good feeling no so and we moved in here

02:44:52 - 02:45:18 | Speaker 3:

we had a very nice opening but we never did a ribbon cutting right because it had already been cut so martin said we should see if we call like the priest of the chaldean community or any community i don't care what kind of priest you are you could be a priest of whatever your religion is that you do but have them come and give us a uh you know i don't know like a little prayer or something a cleansing i need somebody to

02:45:18 - 02:45:37 | Speaker 4:

text 95500 is father mark still around in the toledo area he was at saint joe's sylvania and went to saint joe's mommy for a little bit and i also know that he went to saint john's but um but is he around he's the funniest priest i've ever met he would be hysterical to come in here and and bless he did magic during his homilies he went to high school with my dad he's great

02:45:37 - 02:45:42 | Speaker 3:

i would love if father mark would come father mark if you're listening father mark what what

02:45:55 - 02:46:03 | Speaker 5:

We got to get Father JJ. He's now working at the diocese here in Detroit. He's funny, too. He could come down.

02:46:03 - 02:46:19 | Speaker 3:

I was out for lunch the other day, and I saw this young priest that was there. I was like, that guy looks like he's wearing a Halloween costume. Because there's no way I've seen a priest that looks like that guy that's that young. He could burn some sage.

02:46:19 - 02:46:28 | Speaker 5:

I have sage at home. The only thing about sage is that I think it smells terrible. Some people like it. I don't love the smell of it, but we could sage all the corners of this room.

02:46:29 - 02:47:08 | Speaker 3:

I am one of those people, listen, I'm one of those people that will believe anything as long as my equipment works. That's all I want. I want my equipment to actually work appropriately, and I don't want, I'm tired of, I'm tired of going to Tony Travato and Tony the Tiger, Tony Beers, and saying to them, what is going on with this thing? Why is this thing doing it? And them saying to me, well, we'll look into it. Like, that's what they say to me all the time. So has anybody ever had this happen where they had to do this to, like, their home? Maybe they lived in a house. They found out somebody died. They had, like, somebody come and get rid of the juju. I don't know. Is that what it's called?

02:47:09 - 02:47:12 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I don't know. Or maybe after you get divorced, you saved your entire house.

02:47:12 - 02:47:14 | Speaker 3:

Yes. The juju.

02:47:14 - 02:47:15 | Speaker 5:

Juju.

02:47:16 - 02:47:22 | Speaker 3:

Slap wall. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. What's up, Brittany?

02:48:34 - 02:48:36 | Speaker 3:

Ah, there you go.

02:48:36 - 02:48:38 | Speaker 5:

I've never been more patriotic in my life.

02:48:38 - 02:48:39 | Speaker 3:

You're the best. We love you.

02:48:40 - 02:48:45 | Speaker 5:

So happy we could help keep you numb. How do we get a flyover? God bless America.

02:48:45 - 02:48:56 | Speaker 3:

By the way, let's get an update from her before the end of the show again. What's up, Brittany? Hi. I'm sorry, Mike. That was Brittany. Brittany, I feel like I just got numb talking to you. What's going on, Mike?

02:48:57 - 02:49:01 | Speaker 5:

Hey, I was ordained online. I'd be more than happy to come. You know what?

02:49:01 - 02:49:06 | Speaker 3:

Perfect. I was too. So you got your license to marry somebody probably, right?

02:49:06 - 02:49:11 | Speaker 1:

I mean, hey, listen, $5.99, you go online. You can do a lot of things.

02:49:11 - 02:49:17 | Speaker 3:

It's like the first church of Modesto, California. I love that, too.

02:49:17 - 02:49:19 | Speaker 4:

Real question. Do you get a tax break for that?

02:49:20 - 02:49:25 | Speaker 1:

Oh, absolutely. I can do weddings. I can do funerals. I'm not Jewish, but I can do bar mitzvahs.

02:49:26 - 02:49:30 | Speaker 5:

I need to get ordained, by the way. Somebody point me in the right direction. I just got asked to do a wedding.

02:49:30 - 02:49:37 | Speaker 3:

I'll send you the website. I want a legit one, though. Like, I'm not really legit either. What's up, Sarah? Hi.

02:49:38 - 02:50:18 | Speaker 1:

Hey, good morning. So in May, I actually staged my room because May was a terrible month for me. My boyfriend broke up with me, and then my grandpa passed away a week later. That's all right. So I was all ready for the next half of the year. So definitely I staged my room. Don't like the smell. of it but i did it for you know bad juju okay well listen uh that was it worked for you well we might have to do the whole sage thing if we can't find the appropriates uh we may may need yeah uh what's up amanda hey mojo hey what's going on first time long time

02:50:18 - 02:50:28 | Speaker 3:

i think you should do another ribbon cutting invite everybody maybe that's what i mean

02:50:28 - 02:50:36 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, maybe we need to do that. But I want the blessings done, too, so we get rid of all the bad stuff, and then we'll get the new stuff going here. But, yeah, we may have to do that.

02:50:36 - 02:50:38 | Speaker 3:

We'll invite all the listeners. We'll all bless it.

02:50:38 - 02:50:43 | Speaker 1:

It will be like a pre-Jingle Ball party or something that we can put together. Might be a good idea.

02:50:43 - 02:50:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I want to come to Jingle Ball, too, by the way. Give me some tickets.

02:50:47 - 02:50:51 | Speaker 1:

God, I wish I could. Keep listening. We'll have a bunch here. Or go see Brittany in the dentist chair.

02:50:51 - 02:50:54 | Speaker 2:

The engineers are running to our studio right now as you're talking about this.

02:50:54 - 02:50:55 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Jessica? Hi.

02:50:57 - 02:50:57 | Unknown:

Or not.

02:50:59 - 02:51:00 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Jessica?

02:51:00 - 02:51:16 | Speaker 1:

No, they're running. You know where they're running? They're running to the bathroom. That's the way to the bathroom. Jessica, are you there? Jessica hung up. Jessica said that she might have known somebody that could have done our studio. What's up, Michelle?

02:51:19 - 02:51:39 | Speaker 3:

Mojo, I love you. I've been listening to you forever. So I got to tell you guys. You guys need to get some old Caldean lady. grab the little gold thing, I don't know what it's called, and have her walk around your studio with her prayer book and say these songs because not one devil would step foot in that studio ever again.

02:51:39 - 02:51:41 | Speaker 1:

I know. That's what I'm thinking.

02:51:41 - 02:51:47 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. Isha Omari, I'm Omari. Yes. Yes.

02:51:50 - 02:51:55 | Speaker 1:

All right. So that's what I'm like. Lydia, let's get your grandma or somebody here. See what we can get going on.

02:51:55 - 02:51:56 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, my grandma will call her.

02:51:56 - 02:52:03 | Speaker 1:

All right. Or let's get the lady who said that. Let's do that. All right. We'll be right back.

02:52:03 - 02:52:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, we don't need me. Don't call me mom. Yeah, don't call me mom.

02:52:08 - 02:52:09 | Speaker 1:

We will be back.

02:52:10 - 02:52:11 | Speaker 3:

Zach, pull that.

02:52:11 - 02:52:11 | Speaker 2:

Zach.

02:52:13 - 02:52:14 | Speaker 1:

Be right back.

02:52:14 - 02:52:24 | Speaker 3:

Ah, this weather is great. Ever wonder why we're dumb enough to live here this time of year? This is Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's top trending stories.

02:52:24 - 02:52:29 | Speaker 1:

All right, top trending stories. These guys already started their drinking.

02:52:29 - 02:52:30 | Speaker 2:

What do you mean these guys?

02:52:30 - 02:52:36 | Speaker 1:

These guys. What are you doing over there? You're enjoying the party? I got to get myself together here. I got to do one last break here.

02:52:36 - 02:52:42 | Speaker 3:

It's a party. I'll try. Is that adverse, Tom? Ever. You just had your scene downtown.

02:52:42 - 02:53:25 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's good stuff, too. That is good stuff. All right. A couple trending news stories, and then we will get done for today. And I promised Jessica Dupnik that I will do Jessica's story. Jessica is my media crush from Fox 2. and we will always do a Jessica Dubnick story. First, though, let's go with this story. Lydia just sent it to us. A recent survey from Dating News reveals that Michigan men are most likely to choose Chick-fil-A for their first date, while Dairy Queen ranked as the second most popular choice, followed by Pizza Hut at third place. What guy is taking their girl on a first date to Chick-fil-A?

02:53:25 - 02:54:05 | Speaker 2:

Listen, let me tell you this. One time, she was cold, too. This wasn't just no little average. Is that good or bad? Good. Very cold. Honestly, the lingo is just killing me. No, she was cold. Cold means really good. The face card never declines. So it's like cold means, like you would say, they look hot. My God, I feel like my dad. But look, look, that's beside the point. She was cold as hell. We had a hookah and McDonald's, and she still talks about that. Really? That was one of her favorites. I took her to McDonald's, bro, on the drive-thru, got her a McChicken with the romaine lettuce. They'll do that if you ask them. You can't do it if you ask them I'm telling you Double quarter parlor with cheese Add Big Mac sauce Bigger Big Mac Everybody try to impress Meet her where she is

02:54:05 - 02:54:22 | Speaker 1:

The survey also found that 66% of women Would be open to a first date At a fast food restaurant Liars, there's no way And more than half of the women Said that they'd be willing to split the bill If you're splitting the bill At a fast food restaurant What kind of guy are you dating?

02:54:22 - 02:54:29 | Speaker 2:

But don't you think of Chick-fil-A as fancy fast food. It is kind of fancy. It is. And if you have a great personality, it doesn't matter where you are.

02:54:29 - 02:54:33 | Speaker 1:

It's like fancy fast food. There is something to be said about that, yeah.

02:54:33 - 02:54:40 | Speaker 3:

Can I tell you, though, what I think I would prefer, though? Like a trip to Target. Walk around with me. Costco. Yeah. That's more expensive than a dinner.

02:54:40 - 02:54:44 | Speaker 2:

No, no, I don't want you to buy it. Just, like, spend time with me while I get the things I need. I love that idea, too.

02:54:45 - 02:55:45 | Speaker 1:

Our researchers found the most expensive and the most affordable U.S. cities to live in. And do you want to know where we are? The top 10 most expensive cities for household bills are dominated by... San Jose, New York, and Boston. San Jose households face an average monthly bill of $3,695, which is 74% higher than the national average. In contrast, the least expensive cities, such as Indianapolis, Louisville, and Memphis, see an average monthly household bill of about $2,000. Detroit is the most affordable among them. It has an average bill, an average monthly expense of $1,640, 23% lower than the national average. Although, when I hear Kev and KP and Megan talk about their rent, it sounds to me like rent in the city is expensive as hell.

02:55:45 - 02:55:51 | Speaker 6:

I'm very shocked by that list. My car insurance. Now, I will say, best thing about Detroit is your internet pricing.

02:55:52 - 02:55:56 | Speaker 1:

Oh, sorry. That was my Instagram. Go ahead. Sorry. What's that?

02:55:56 - 02:56:00 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I'm sorry. I was just pulling up Instagram and not paying attention to you.

02:56:01 - 02:56:04 | Speaker 1:

No, I'm getting my Jessica Dutonack story ready. Oh, that's fair. That's fair.

02:56:04 - 02:56:08 | Speaker 6:

Honestly, I really want to hear that. But it is insane living here. It is absolutely insane.

02:56:08 - 02:56:13 | Speaker 3:

But to be fair, you choose to live in a nice apartment.

02:56:13 - 02:56:28 | Speaker 6:

But my car insurance was going to skyrocket coming to Michigan anyways. And there are certain things that are just more expensive here than in Ohio. 100%. Like, I think, and I'm not an OSU fan, but Columbus is a great city to live in that is pretty affordable.

02:56:28 - 02:56:36 | Speaker 3:

I just want more people to live in the city of Detroit. Same. And you can find affordable options, for sure. Okay.

02:56:36 - 02:56:46 | Speaker 6:

The rent prices, I think, will get better when there are more options for renters. Because right now, I think people do want to move into the city and things are changing, and there's not a lot of vacancies.

02:56:46 - 02:56:56 | Speaker 1:

And I also think that the rent prices will get better when there are cheaper home, you know, more options for buying and the homes are cheaper.

02:56:56 - 02:56:57 | Speaker 3:

Everything is very expensive and anywhere right now, yeah.

02:56:57 - 02:57:20 | Speaker 1:

All right, let's get to our girl, Jessica Dupnack from Fox 2. If you don't follow her, you better. You're missing out. She does the best news stories around. And Jessica did a story where she featured a business that everybody must go to. Here we go. Ready? Hold on a second here, Jessica. Here is your one-way ticket to Poundtown. Recently, Eddie. Wait, hold on. Why is it only coming in one channel?

02:57:20 - 02:57:28 | Speaker 6:

That sometimes happens if the audio is uploaded in. Mono is at Asteria, and I know that she does that sometimes because I wasn't on my AirPods.

02:57:28 - 02:57:30 | Speaker 5:

I haven't heard of some of her videos.

02:57:30 - 02:57:32 | Speaker 1:

How can I mono it out?

02:57:32 - 02:57:42 | Speaker 5:

Here is your one-way ticket to Poundtown. Recently, an explosion of interest here downriver and beyond in a catchy slogan right on the side of a bait and tack.

02:57:43 - 02:57:47 | Speaker 1:

I know, but it's in one channel. Are you okay listening on one channel?

02:57:47 - 02:57:49 | Speaker 3:

You promised her you were playing this story.

02:57:49 - 02:58:00 | Speaker 1:

Can you turn it up? If I turn it up, it will still be in one channel. All right, here. Let's just do it. I'll do it. Here we go. Jessica Dupnack talking about Pound Town. Oh, yeah. This has got to be good. Here we go.

02:58:00 - 02:58:14 | Speaker 5:

Here is your one-way ticket to Pound Town. Recently, an explosion of interest here downriver and beyond in a catchy slogan right on the side of a bait and tackle spot. You'll have to get your mind out of the gutter for this story.

02:58:15 - 02:58:26 | Speaker 4:

I went to Poundtown today. I went to Poundtown on the D. Poundtown on the Dirty D is another saying. There's a lot of pounding going on downriver. I couldn't even give you a number. Tens of thousands? Probably.

02:58:26 - 02:58:34 | Speaker 5:

That's tens of thousands of shirts Christy Newman's family-owned bait and tackle shop have sold with this logo on it.

02:58:34 - 02:58:39 | Speaker 4:

So we ship all over the place. There's people, there's Marines that order them to their base.

02:58:39 - 02:58:46 | Speaker 5:

Just this week, they got a photo from another satisfied customer from Guam in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

02:58:46 - 02:58:49 | Speaker 1:

I bought probably 10 of them shirts to give to people.

02:58:50 - 02:59:00 | Speaker 5:

Steve Beccrea owns the Riverside Coney next door to DipNet, Bait, and Tackle at eCourse. He's seen more customers as a result of the slogan really catching on recently.

02:59:00 - 02:59:17 | Speaker 1:

We need to go to Poundtown. Let's go to Poundtown with Jessica Dubnack. Like, by the way, I'm still trying to, I'm still fascinated with when she did it, when she put that in, her voice was in one side and the clip was in the other.

02:59:17 - 02:59:21 | Speaker 6:

She edited it that way. Or I shouldn't say she, somebody.

02:59:21 - 02:59:23 | Speaker 1:

Somebody did it that way. Can I ask?

02:59:23 - 02:59:24 | Speaker 6:

I have done that before with a commercial.

02:59:25 - 02:59:47 | Speaker 1:

Why do I feel, why do I feel like I'm that guy that was from the War of the Roses this morning, Spencer? It kind of made me feel that way. It could be that or the champagne that we just recently took some drinks of by Neil. And by the way, Neil, tomorrow night, I know you're not going to bartend because I know you just had the surgery done and stuff like that. Will you be drinking or are you on pain meds still and you can't do this thing?

02:59:47 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 2:

I'll be drinking. I'm dying. All right. You know, she, you know, God love her. She got me, you know, this is was two weeks Thursday. OK, so I'm.

03:00:00 - 03:00:26 | Speaker 4:

I'm on a good mend and everything, but, yeah, we stopped the pain meds about a week ago. All right, so here's the story. Tomorrow night, the Lodge in Kego Harbor. It is going to be so much fun. Come on out. I know that all the regulars will be there. I'll see Todd Bartis bellied up to the bar. Get out and see us tomorrow night, all the great people that will be behind that bar. And Amy Andrews is working at 6 o'clock. Have a great day, guys. Go Lions.

03:00:27 - 03:00:34 | Speaker 2:

See you tomorrow. It's going to be fun. 20-plus years of idiocy and still going in Detroit, Toledo, and West Michigan.

03:00:34 - 03:00:36 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo in the Morning.
