This is Mojo in the Morning. One, two, one, three, two, one.

00:02:19 - 00:02:21 | Speaker 6:

This is Mojo in the Morning. Mojo.

00:02:21 - 00:02:34 | Speaker 5:

Mojo. This show's up. And the Rockets' red glare. You're not being logical is what I'm saying. This is like an orgasm in a cup.

00:02:39 - 00:02:40 | Unknown:

Showtime.

00:02:44 - 00:03:04 | Speaker 7:

I feel like one of those TV news anchors that's filling in. I'm filling in for David Muir right now. Hey, look, that's a good look. On the nightly news. That is. Hi, everyone. My name is Joe. Mojo is out, and Mojo's also my dad. So you might hear us on the afternoon. I heard that we actually got the day off, though, today.

00:03:04 - 00:03:13 | Speaker 5:

Well, it kind of sucks because you wanted the day off. But if you're staying with Mojo and he says, I'm not coming in. You go do the show. Now what? It's a little tough.

00:03:14 - 00:03:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you take orders.

00:03:16 - 00:03:18 | Speaker 7:

I'm a little bit freaking out right now. I don't know.

00:03:18 - 00:03:21 | Speaker 2:

Why? You're fine. You've got this. Because I'm going to screw everything up. Who cares?

00:03:22 - 00:03:23 | Speaker 7:

That's the best part.

00:03:23 - 00:03:23 | Speaker 2:

What's your dad going to do? Send you to your room?

00:03:24 - 00:03:34 | Speaker 7:

Well, I'm going to send myself back to Florida, if that's the case. He's not going to get me. Days like today are like when parents go out for date night for the first time in a year and they give you $20 for pizza and say, don't burn the house down.

00:03:34 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 3:

And you get kid cuisine. You get kid cuisine. This is today, okay? Just don't burn the house down and you're good.

00:03:40 - 00:04:06 | Speaker 5:

Well, and listen, even if your dad was here, we would have still been messing up left and right this morning because we all had about two hours sleep after the big iHeart jingle ball at Little Caesars Arena. And we were all running around like crazy. And I think that's really what did your dad in and got him sick. He probably already had a little bug or something, but we did not have one free minute for six hours. Well, for your dad, it was eight hours because he went down early to hang out the Backstreet Boys and do the interview and stuff.

00:04:06 - 00:04:12 | Speaker 7:

One of those long days where you can't, like, complain. Because, like, how are you going to complain about being with the Backstreet Boys? Best job in the world.

00:04:12 - 00:04:12 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah.

00:04:12 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 7:

Or Khalid or Kid Leroy.

00:04:14 - 00:04:19 | Speaker 3:

It was so much fun. I couldn't believe how much fun it was. It was the best night ever.

00:04:19 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 5:

And if you were there, please call us and tell us what you thought of the show. Because we would love to actually hear what you thought. 844-665-6548. 844-MOJO-LIVE. But I assume they're all still sleeping. We're the only dummies that had to get up this early. I don't think anyone is.

00:04:34 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 7:

Are people up right now at this point? usually yes yes yes i didn't i didn't i didn't know remember this is a third shift town here

00:04:41 - 00:04:45 | Speaker 5:

a lot of great people going to work early and coming home this is my this is my plan to fill

00:04:45 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 7:

in is i'm gonna now start making fun of your guys's show and say no one listens um now everything too is on our socials as well which there's a lot to like break down when it comes to jingle ball and that's that's literally what it is because normally

00:05:00 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 3:

if Mojo's out, I mean, it would be

00:05:00 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 7:

Thank you.

00:05:02 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 3:

there's a thing we call best of but it's very important that we talk about fun fact, there's someone in this room where a Backstreet Boy almost punched him and we have video

00:05:12 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 4:

Okay, I heard this story

00:05:13 - 00:05:15 | Speaker 3:

it wasn't me, thank God

00:05:15 - 00:05:30 | Speaker 4:

I was on my best behavior on the Backstreet Boys almost rushed them backstage, but I did it I refrained I heard that this happened, but I haven't heard the story, so I am so excited to hear the story. When are we telling it? We have audio

00:05:30 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 3:

of it, too, by the way. Okay, when? We'll do that like at 740. Okay. How about that?

00:05:36 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Because they were just hanging in that backstage area for a while before they went on stage. And I kept walking by going, do I ask them for a picture or don't be that girl? Don't be that girl?

00:05:46 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 2:

We're supposed to maintain a level of professionalism. Right, but like 11-year-old

00:05:50 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 4:

Shannon Murphy was like, go do it.

00:05:51 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 1:

This is your chance. I wanted a photo so bad, too, because I got the memo to wear all white last night, and so I matched them. And I really wanted a group photo Like I am an extra member of the band tonight And I was like leave him alone

00:06:04 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 3:

Well that was the cool part about the I Heart Stage Is the fact that it rotated and it turned And the Backstreet Boys were on this like little level I thought that it was going to turn And they'd all be standing on this And I told Megan why don't you just stand up there Yeah you know the moves What's the worst thing that's going to happen They're going to have to run and get security to move you No they're going to let you stay up there

00:06:24 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 4:

Who was your fave Who was everybody's fave last night

00:06:27 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 2:

Mac Lamar.

00:06:28 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 4:

Mac Lamar was so good. The energy.

00:06:31 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 2:

The Backstreet Boys. And the Backstreet Boys, of course.

00:06:33 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 1:

EJR was great, too.

00:06:34 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 2:

Nick did so well. I love him. And Khalid was great. If you got to hear it all live last night on the EJ show, if you weren't at the concert, we were broadcasting live the whole thing, and you got to hear a lot of us popping on and off the air and bringing the artists in. So, like, the kid Leroy would walk in and just hang out and talk on the air a little bit. And drop 10 F-bombs. Oh, my gosh. I think our boss had a stroke, right? It was really just two, or three.

00:06:54 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 4:

It felt like five. I heard it was more than that.

00:06:57 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 2:

It was messy. Wait, really? Yeah, it was sloppy. I don't know how he could forget he was on the radio. We're all just four radio people talking to him.

00:07:06 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 3:

Well, no, you know what it is. This is the only jingle ball where they actually put stuff live on the radio. That is true. So the artists weren't even you. I know Khalid kind of had a little issue. Are we allowed to talk about these side things?

00:07:17 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 4:

I don't know that there was an issue with Khalid. He was so low-key and very, very sweet and kind. That's true.

00:07:22 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 3:

We just had to delete the interview video.

00:07:23 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 4:

The video. I think there was something that was asked that they didn't really love or wasn't comfortable. But Kid Leroy, it was so funny because he comes backstage, he does the interview. First of all, I have to describe to you, he comes backstage wearing the heaviest winter coat you've ever seen in your life with a fur hood and then a fur hat and does the interview that way. He actually performed on stage that way, too. I don't know how he wasn't sweating through his clothes because the rest of us were. but he was just like just drop an F and then he got apologizing after I'm like it's okay because it's too late we're already in trouble we're already in trouble

00:08:04 - 00:08:54 | Speaker 2:

during the show we had to all obviously go on stage to introduce all the acts but then when we weren't on stage we were backstage doing interviews we were also doing all these extra little things like artist experience bringing listeners backstage to meet them and see them perform and then Mojo and I had the job of running up to the very last row all the way in the back of Little Caesars Arena and surprise fans with front row tickets and then bring them down and put them in the front row for the whole show. So we did that a few times. I think that really honestly might have been what did your dad in because Mojo was there all day. He was so tired. He was doing sound check stuff. He was doing stuff with record labels. We had such a busy day. We didn't really have five minutes to even stop and enjoy everything because the minute we had five minutes, we would all run out to the concourse to meet listeners and hang out and take selfies and so it was by the way running up all the way

00:08:54 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 3:

to the top and then running back down if that was the only thing i did in the day that would

00:08:58 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 2:

do me in i would have to be a lot of stairs i underestimated yeah so it was a lot of fun but i think mojo already had a bug so he was trying to hold on and keep himself running and healthy until this show was over and then i think his body just said okay that's done you're it i did i gave you jingle ball now i'm i'm collapsing on you when he did not get up and dance for

00:09:18 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 4:

I want it that way.

00:09:19 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:09:19 - 00:09:23 | Speaker 4:

The Backstreet Boys. He was already doing it. This is no bueno tomorrow.

00:09:23 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 2:

So he actually, I think he, as soon as we introduced Backstreet Boys, I think he had an Uber waiting for him backstage, and he went home, left Chelsea and all his friends and family to enjoy the show and just said, you guys don't worry about me. And he went home, and I knew it was bad when he wasn't in this morning because, like you said, before we went on the air this morning, Joe, every other city that they do Jingle Ball in, the morning show takes off because they want to go party afterwards. We want to come in and talk about it and hang out with the listeners that were there.

00:09:50 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 3:

Well, what good does it do it for anyone who, you know, hears all about it and then doesn't even get to hear the actual payoff of the concert? But John was there. John, what was Jingle Ball?

00:10:00 - 00:10:04 | Speaker 8:

like? 1 through 10. You give it an 11?

00:10:05 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 2:

I'm giving it a 12. It was the first concert that my daughter and I went to together. We had a suite looking right now. We could see front stage and backstage. And my daughter's actually with me now, and we're on our way to school. Oh, my gosh.

00:10:19 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 6:

It was a late night. Who did you guys love seeing?

00:10:25 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 2:

Macklemore was actually one of her favorite sleepers. Macklemore was

00:10:29 - 00:10:45 | Speaker 8:

incredible no one was talking about macklemore before and he was the only one people were talking about after all right thank you john we love you both thank you for being a part of the family hey hold on one second amy you're dragging butt today that were you at jingle ball or

00:10:45 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 1:

is this just a very tired wednesday for you oh no no no i am driving the struggle bus i was at jingle ball and it was worth every single lack of sleep i'm having today the artists

00:10:58 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 5:

were all great but how beautiful did all the ladies on this show look on stage last night i mean was that amazing yeah that's why i didn't care so much to look into what it was that i was wearing because i knew nobody's gonna be looking at me on stage i love that you're deflecting the

00:11:14 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 6:

fact that you were wearing actually the ugliest christmas sweater i've ever seen in my life yeah

00:11:18 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 5:

i don't know if you heard about that uh joe the did i hear about it i was told i couldn't say

00:11:23 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 8:

anything we were all told it was like a whole entire building secret no listeners

00:11:27 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 5:

they don't love me they didn't tell me i thought somebody would sneak into my dms and let me know what was going on no it wasn't until we were about to walk out on stage and i'm like guys where's your sweaters like i was putting on my my ugly gear we're walking on stage and that's when i realized you son of a bitch you guys got me so i look like a fool but that's okay i noticed you had multiple changes well yeah i did uh bring in uh a couple clothes because i did soak sweat right through my clothes so I did have a normal outfit for after the ugly sweater and because I knew it was gonna be too hot to wear a sweater all night yeah and then I soaked through that running around talking to people all night so I brought an extra shirt and um Ashley got to see my nipples yeah I did I did a costume change I didn't even care at the end of the night I was in the room I think Khalid might have been I don't know who else was there but I just wanted to change shirts again and plus the Backstreet Boys were coming on so I put on my I love hot mom shirt for the Backstreet Boys fans and yeah. Did you get that at Hot Topic

00:12:27 - 00:12:28 | Speaker 8:

by the way? Probably.

00:12:29 - 00:13:02 | Speaker 7:

Later in the show you should let me rate all the guy's nipples. Have you seen everybody's nipples? I've seen Joe's. Oh Jed you know I love yours. Jed's got some great ones. Okay we need to talk about this because I want to know what makes his better than Spike's and Joe's. Jed take it off. Go ahead. He's just got great ones man. Aren't they great? They're not too pink. I don't know. What's wrong if they're pink? No, I'm checking. I love how it's 6.20 in the morning and everybody's lifting.

00:13:02 - 00:13:15 | Speaker 8:

Shannon, we can see your nipple. Go ahead. It's all right. You can do that. Megan, you too. KP joined in. Where's Reese as well? See, I'm asking both. You're discriminated, okay. I'm asking both genders. That's all right. It's good for social.

00:13:15 - 00:13:25 | Speaker 5:

Mojo and I once did post a picture of my nipple next to his nipple because we were trying to see whose was bigger. And Mojo's did have a hair coming out of it. See? I have so many hairs coming out of mine.

00:13:25 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 7:

That's why I can't. That must be a Cuban thing.

00:13:28 - 00:13:29 | Speaker 6:

Don't guys nipples have hair coming out of them?

00:13:29 - 00:13:34 | Speaker 4:

Mine don't. No, it has a round of hair. He doesn't have a lot of hair. Not the areola, but I mean. Wait, it comes out of it?

00:13:34 - 00:13:35 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:13:36 - 00:13:39 | Speaker 6:

Now he's checking his nipples. There is somebody's shirt. It's getting raised. See how that hair goes out?

00:13:39 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 8:

This is like a kindergarten class where one kid says nipple next to every kid's shirt is off. Can we one more person who is a jingle ball? I love, by the way, this proves to you to every other morning show around the country that has a Jingle Ball. This is why you have to be in, because it's the intro of the show, and even Anne-Marie is up. But you are at Jingle Ball. Are you tired, too?

00:14:04 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my goodness. I am exhausted, and I'm on my way to work. But it was worth every minute of it. It was great. Who was your favorite? I was up in the suite. I talked to you guys yesterday, and I was up in the suite. I won tickets. But the only thing I was hoping for, for you guys to be on stage more. The Mojo Show to be on stage more.

00:14:22 - 00:14:25 | Speaker 5:

Nobody wants to see us out there. You get to hear us every morning.

00:14:26 - 00:14:38 | Speaker 8:

What do you guys focus on? That brings up a good point. Because, Anne-Marie, you say that. But, like, I would be listening. And the only time people would scream and shout and actually care. I felt like everyone was on their phones until you said, Backstreet Boys!

00:14:41 - 00:14:42 | Speaker 3:

So true.

00:14:42 - 00:14:43 | Speaker 5:

Yep, yep.

00:14:43 - 00:14:46 | Speaker 3:

It was great. Everyone, I'll be extra awesome.

00:14:46 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 5:

Good. I'm glad to hear that. We have lots of great stories to share all morning about what happened backstage, onstage, all that stuff. And it was so much fun, and we love the listeners so much because you make us feel so special as we're walking around and people get excited to take selfies.

00:15:00 - 00:15:13 | Speaker 1:

stuff and that's why we do this this was our very first jingle ball in detroit all the bosses did you see all the corporate bosses backstage oh yeah they were like you guys lit this building on fire we're gonna do this again they said we gotta bring it back to detroit so i think it will happen i

00:15:13 - 00:15:27 | Speaker 2:

think it will only get bigger yeah because the other thing too i assume that the artists will talk about it i'll go well i don't want to go to that city because they're kind of bores but detroit was pretty cool yeah detroit was pretty fun yeah the artists loved it everybody took notes they're

00:15:27 - 00:15:30 | Speaker 1:

We're going to do this again, and we're also not going to let Ashley have any tequila.

00:15:32 - 00:15:34 | Speaker 2:

Anyone? I know that we had the strict rule. Don't drink.

00:15:35 - 00:15:35 | Speaker 3:

No, I did not.

00:15:35 - 00:15:43 | Speaker 1:

This might have been the first concert I've been to in 10 years I didn't have a drink at. And it wasn't because of the rules. I don't care about that. I would have had a drink anyway.

00:15:44 - 00:15:48 | Speaker 3:

I took a sip of Wes's beer at one point. That was the only alcohol I had all night.

00:15:49 - 00:15:49 | Speaker 2:

You had a shot.

00:15:49 - 00:15:50 | Speaker 3:

Who's who?

00:15:51 - 00:15:52 | Speaker 2:

Don't act like you did. Oh, you lie.

00:15:53 - 00:16:00 | Speaker 3:

All right, guys. I had three, four shots, baby. I was going crazy with it. I didn't go home. It was great.

00:16:00 - 00:16:07 | Speaker 2:

Last question, because I know we got back in the day on the way, and then, of course, breaking and entering. It's a loaded morning.

00:16:07 - 00:16:08 | Speaker 3:

Five nights to tell your mom.

00:16:08 - 00:16:21 | Speaker 2:

Don't forget, we have Morgan Wallen tickets at 9 o'clock. And, oh, by the way, Taylor Swift tickets, too. Taylor Swift tickets. How could you forget? Well, I forgot the time. What time is it at?

00:16:21 - 00:16:23 | Speaker 1:

We're getting 6.50 and 9.50 this time.

00:16:23 - 00:16:32 | Speaker 2:

6.50 and 9.50. Isn't that beautiful? I love it. Were you at the Motown building at like four in the morning? Oh, my gosh. People are talking.

00:16:32 - 00:16:33 | Speaker 3:

I tried to keep it a secret.

00:16:33 - 00:16:33 | Speaker 1:

Ashley.

00:16:34 - 00:16:38 | Speaker 3:

We have to talk about that, too. Did you sleep? This is single, Ashley. For 30 minutes.

00:16:38 - 00:16:41 | Speaker 1:

Were you swiping? Were you like trying to match?

00:16:41 - 00:16:46 | Speaker 3:

Listen, I was making sure KP and Jed weren't going to do anything crazy in that hotel room. What?

00:16:47 - 00:16:47 | Speaker 1:

Wait a minute.

00:16:47 - 00:17:16 | Speaker 2:

Wait, what? I need to rest assured that nothing. Wait. We have so much to catch up on. When we did the whole show rundown, did you notice that KP's like, all right, well, Shannon, what do you want to do here? And then, Joe, what should we do here? She didn't say anything about KP. We didn't have a KP topic. We don't. But we're all wondering, where was KP last night? And why not ask Jed for a topic from last night? We all have to recap our Jingle Ball experience, and we also put them in this little room together.

00:17:16 - 00:17:18 | Speaker 3:

They're producing together right now.

00:17:18 - 00:17:19 | Speaker 2:

They're producing what?

00:17:20 - 00:17:38 | Speaker 1:

That's the real question. We're going to take you back in the way. It's Mojo in the Morning. It's back in the day. Tell us when this stuff happened. This is the year in which Samsung recalled and discontinued the Galaxy Note after multiple reports of phone explosions.

00:17:38 - 00:17:45 | Speaker 2:

I'm trying to reach in my pocket and my pants were melted around my phone. It burned his fingertips and seared his leg in the process.

00:17:46 - 00:18:15 | Speaker 1:

It was also the year that Pokemon Go, the real world mobile game, was first released. Pokemon Go has only been out for a few days, but it's already got millions following their smartphones to the most random places. And I think this clue will help you figure out the year. One dance, Drake featuring WizKid and Kyla was on the radio. I don't even think we ever give credit to WizKid and Kyla, but we should. They did the song with Drake. It's Drake's song, right? DJ Khaled. So if you know the year, give us a call, 844-MOJO-LIVE, and we'll see if we can get a winner.

00:18:15 - 00:18:33 | Speaker 2:

By the way, Joe Show filling in for Mojo. And that's why the voice sounds a little similar, but just a little bit different, too. Let's see. Hey, Corey, you think you know what year it happened? Yeah, 2016. 2016 is?

00:18:33 - 00:18:34 | Unknown:

Yeah!

00:18:37 - 00:18:54 | Speaker 2:

Congratulations, Corey. And you just won a pair of tickets to see the Detroit Lions. Our Detroit Lions take on the Vikings at Ford Field on December 11th. Tickets are on sale right now at Ticketmaster.com. Corey, congrats, man. Thank you for being a part of the Mojo in the Morning family. We appreciate you.

00:18:54 - 00:18:57 | Speaker 1:

Hang on, not one, but two producers will get your information.

00:18:58 - 00:19:03 | Speaker 2:

That's right. Well, when they're done making out, they will get your. That's what they'll do.

00:19:04 - 00:19:06 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:19:07 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 3:

All right. It's a day after actress Kirstie Alley's death, her rep revealed that she had been diagnosed with colon cancer. Now, this is big because, remember, her kids, in their statement after she passed, said she died from a recently discovered cancer. They really weren't specific about the type. They did say she had been undergoing treatment at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, right by you, Joe. But, yeah, it was colon cancer. And by the way, and I think this is very interesting, former Scientologist Leah Remini offered a very, and I'm trying to think of the word to use, tense condolence message after hearing of Kirstie's passing. She wrote on social media, although Scientologists don't believe in prayers, my prayers do go out to her two children who are now without their mom. I hope they can one day free themselves of this dangerous and toxic.

00:20:00 - 00:20:07 | Speaker 5:

organization, so yes, her now adult children, Chrissy Alley's now adult children, are both Scientologists. Making a statement there.

00:20:07 - 00:20:09 | Speaker 7:

We can't report in Tampa, Ashley.

00:20:09 - 00:20:13 | Speaker 5:

Really? We can't talk about Scientology at all. You want us to come out missing?

00:20:13 - 00:20:17 | Speaker 6:

Seriously? I could never. I could never. I love Scientology.

00:20:17 - 00:20:21 | Speaker 8:

Megan's watched 83 documentaries about it. Oh, so have I. Yeah, yeah. That is crazy.

00:20:21 - 00:20:26 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I would. I would hope that they would follow me around with camcorders and put a billboard up. Please, let's go.

00:20:26 - 00:20:47 | Speaker 5:

Let's fight. Did all of you guys in here watch The Office? Of course. She lied about it, too. Mindy Kaling, who was a writer and star of The Office, obviously, she played Kelly on the show, said, The Office probably couldn't be made in today's politically correct climate because it's so inappropriate or would be labeled so inappropriate now.

00:20:47 - 00:21:13 | Speaker 1:

Actually, most of the characters on that show probably would be canceled. That show is so inappropriate. I mean, we always talk about the writers I'm still in touch with now. They talk about how so much of that show we probably couldn't make now. Tastes have changed. And honestly, what offends people has changed so much now. And so I think that actually it's one of the reasons why the show is popular. Because people feel like there's something kind of fearless about it or taboo that it talks about on the show.

00:21:13 - 00:21:20 | Speaker 7:

So are there people that watch it that do get offended now? Because I always hear about people love The Office. I never hear anyone say, like, this is the worst show ever.

00:21:20 - 00:21:26 | Speaker 6:

I want a follow-up question saying, who's the character? What's the scene that you think wouldn't be allowed today?

00:21:26 - 00:21:28 | Speaker 7:

Diversity day

00:21:28 - 00:21:32 | Speaker 6:

Dropping a pot of chili Can't do that anymore Like what are you talking about

00:21:32 - 00:21:49 | Speaker 5:

She actually did say She gave an example about Like she used the word icky But icky remarks made about Stanley's young daughter She said that couldn't be repeated For today's audiences Different themes of like Workplace and sexual harassment Wouldn't go over well

00:21:49 - 00:22:06 | Speaker 8:

There was a lot of tongue in cheek Naivety even to Michael Scott Where he would say things That were inappropriate But because he was very dumb and didn't know they were inappropriate. But in today's climate, you don't find the humor in that one guy we all know who's really dense and doesn't know.

00:22:07 - 00:22:14 | Speaker 6:

Color me crazy, but it wasn't about that being funny. It was about every office has that guy. Yeah, right, right. He doesn't know he's inappropriate.

00:22:14 - 00:22:19 | Speaker 8:

By the way, every office still has that guy. Exactly, exactly. People just can't separate it nowadays like they could before.

00:22:19 - 00:22:45 | Speaker 5:

And lastly, Camila Covello went viral last year when she oddly pronounced the word Christmas during a PBS performance of I'll Be Home for Christmas at the White House. Do you remember this? Christmas? Yeah. I have it. I pulled it. I'll be home for Christmas. Christmas. Christmas. So after seeing all of the memes, people making fun of her, she said she's not really sure why she sang it that way.

00:22:45 - 00:23:06 | Speaker 2:

I think I'm just singing it with feeling. Like, of course, I'm not singing like Christmas. You don't sing like that Like you sing like You know what I mean Oh god I did it again I don't know It's I'm trying to learn From the mistake But it's hard for me to accept That it is one In this case Because I don't Super hear that it's wrong I'm just gonna be full

00:23:06 - 00:23:19 | Speaker 6:

I'll be home for Christmas She did a TikTok with herself Where she played her own Speech pathologist Teaching her how to say Christmas And I love her sense of humor She's great She's great

00:23:19 - 00:23:23 | Speaker 5:

00:23:24 - 00:23:43 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirt. And another phone scam coming up in minutes. It's time for an official government survey. And when we mean official, we mean we're officially full of s***. It's Mojo in the Morning's Senseless Survey.

00:23:45 - 00:23:47 | Speaker 8:

Hello? Hello. How are you?

00:23:48 - 00:23:49 | Speaker 4:

What are you?

00:23:49 - 00:23:51 | Speaker 8:

Is your mom or your daddy home?

00:23:51 - 00:23:53 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. My daddy.

00:23:54 - 00:23:55 | Speaker 8:

All right. Let me talk to him.

00:23:56 - 00:23:57 | Speaker 4:

My daddy?

00:23:57 - 00:23:57 | Speaker 8:

Yeah.

00:23:58 - 00:24:00 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Wait for a minute.

00:24:00 - 00:24:12 | Speaker 8:

Oh, I will. Cutie pie. How do you feel about Eminem's plan to change his name to Skittles?

00:24:13 - 00:24:14 | Speaker 4:

Wait for a minute. Okay.

00:24:15 - 00:24:23 | Speaker 8:

Hello there. How are you? Yeah. Mr. Dabalina, I'm calling from the United States Census Bureau. Just wondering how many people live in your household?

00:24:23 - 00:24:24 | Speaker 4:

Six.

00:24:24 - 00:24:27 | Speaker 8:

Six, okay. And do you have any junk in your trunk?

00:24:28 - 00:24:29 | Speaker 4:

No, not really.

00:24:29 - 00:24:39 | Speaker 8:

Can you tell me how to get to your house from here? Why is that? Oh, we'll come back to that question then. Would you buy a video game called C-section?

00:24:40 - 00:24:41 | Speaker 4:

No.

00:24:41 - 00:24:43 | Speaker 8:

No? All right. And do you know the Muffin Man?

00:24:44 - 00:24:45 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I don't know that.

00:24:45 - 00:24:47 | Speaker 8:

How much do you hate people who hate things?

00:24:48 - 00:24:51 | Speaker 4:

Sorry, I mean, I don't have time to answer all the questions.

00:24:51 - 00:24:58 | Speaker 8:

Would you like to try and bounce a quarter off my ass? Could you put the little kid back on, please?

00:24:58 - 00:25:00 | Speaker 4:

I think I like the little kid back.

00:25:00 - 00:25:21 | Speaker 1:

All right, so I'm filling in for that man, Mojo, and my name is Joe.

00:25:21 - 00:25:50 | Speaker 3:

I'm his son, host of The Joe Show in the afternoon. I think I am. I'm pretty sure. The DNA results are in. And Shannon, yes, he is the father. But Shannon is here. Spike is here. Spike's actually running the board, which is crazy to think that. Remember in the old Southfield building when we were climbing on the cabinets and all that stuff? Who would have thought now? We're going to get into this game, though. Five at 6.55. We've got Samantha going for win number three facing Mark.

00:25:50 - 00:25:56 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Samantha. Hi. Hi. Are you as tired as we are this morning? Are you feeling good?

00:25:56 - 00:26:03 | Speaker 2:

Um, I just flew through my alarm, so I'm a little tired, but I'm at work right now, so I'm awake.

00:26:04 - 00:26:09 | Speaker 1:

Okay, you got this. Let's meet your competitor today. His name is Mark. He is from Lansing. Good morning.

00:26:11 - 00:26:12 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. How are you guys doing?

00:26:12 - 00:26:13 | Speaker 1:

We're great. How are you doing?

00:26:14 - 00:26:15 | Speaker 2:

I'm doing well, thanks.

00:26:15 - 00:26:30 | Speaker 1:

Okay, you guys know how this works. Five pop culture questions. Whoever gets the most right wins. Ty always goes to the champion. That would be Samantha. And Samantha, we're locking you up in a soundproof booth first. Okay, we'll see you in a little bit.

00:26:31 - 00:26:32 | Speaker 2:

Sounds good.

00:26:34 - 00:26:35 | Unknown:

Bye-bye.

00:26:36 - 00:26:50 | Speaker 1:

Okay, Mark, are you ready? Yeah, I'm ready. Okay, let's do this. Question number one. Which action film starring Michael B. Jordan and Angela Bassett topped the box office for the fourth straight weekend? You got three seconds.

00:26:53 - 00:26:55 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I've got to pass.

00:26:55 - 00:27:09 | Speaker 1:

Question two, free agent pitcher Justin Verlander just signed a two-year contract for $86 million. For which team? I'm going to give you a multiple choice on this one. Was it A, the Detroit Tigers, B, the New York Mets, or C, the Houston Astros?

00:27:10 - 00:27:11 | Speaker 2:

It's the New York Mets.

00:27:12 - 00:27:22 | Speaker 1:

Question three, Lions quarterback Jared Goff talking about his dating success story with his fiancée, Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Kristen Harper. How did they meet?

00:27:25 - 00:27:27 | Speaker 2:

I have no idea.

00:27:27 - 00:27:36 | Speaker 1:

Okay, question four. A movie adaptation for the Sega video game ToeJam & Earl is in the works from Amazon Studios featuring which NBA star?

00:27:37 - 00:27:38 | Speaker 2:

LeBron James.

00:27:38 - 00:27:48 | Speaker 1:

And question number five. They rocked Little Caesars Arena last night. Who is going to be performing on an ABC holiday special with Seth Rogen next week?

00:27:49 - 00:27:50 | Speaker 2:

Is it the Backseat Boys?

00:27:50 - 00:27:57 | Speaker 1:

All right, let's bring Samantha back. Megan is our official scorekeeper today.

00:27:58 - 00:28:00 | Speaker 3:

It was, he did, he did.

00:28:01 - 00:28:21 | Speaker 1:

Okay, we're all having a rough morning. Mark got two out of five. She's being really nice. You're being really nice. You ready, Samantha? I am. Okay, here we go. Question one, which action film starring Michael B. Jordan and Angela Bassett topped the box office for the fourth straight weekend? Oh, my goodness. Oh, my gosh. I don't know.

00:28:22 - 00:28:23 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yes.

00:28:24 - 00:28:28 | Speaker 1:

Black Panther, Wakanda forever. Oh, my gosh.

00:28:28 - 00:28:29 | Speaker 2:

I should have known that. Okay.

00:28:29 - 00:28:43 | Speaker 1:

Question number two. Free agent pitcher Justin Verlander just signed a two-year contract for $86 million. For which team? I'm going to give you a multiple choice. Was it A, the Detroit Tigers, B, the New York Mets, or C, the Houston Astros?

00:28:44 - 00:28:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. I know he was a tiger, but I want to say they traded. I'm going to say tiger.

00:28:52 - 00:29:07 | Speaker 1:

No, it's the New York Mets. Zero one. Oh, my God. Question three, Lions quarterback, Derrick Goff, talking about his dating success story with his fiance, Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, Kristen Harper. How did they meet?

00:29:10 - 00:29:12 | Speaker 2:

Can you repeat the question one more time?

00:29:12 - 00:29:44 | Speaker 1:

Sure, Lions quarterback, Derrick Goff, talking about his dating success story with his fiancee, Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Kristen Harper. How did they meet? Got three seconds. Oh my gosh. I don't know. We talked about it yesterday in the Dirty. They met on a dating app. They were a dating app. You have to get the next two right to win with a tie. Question for a movie adaptation for the Sega video game. Toe Jam and Earl is in the works from Amazon Studios featuring which NBA star?

00:29:44 - 00:29:50 | Speaker 2:

oh my god you guys are killing me today with all these sports

00:29:50 - 00:29:58 | Speaker 1:

oh we gotta pass it's stuff curry that's okay that's okay we have a new champion that's it

00:29:58 - 00:30:36 | Speaker 2:

yeah I didn't think we would do it with only two points, but here we are. So, K.P. wrote the questions. I thought they were super tough today. I did, too. Yeah, they were tough today. Let me see if you get question five right, okay? Okay. They rocked Little Caesars Arena last night. Who's going to be performing on an ABC holiday special with Seth Rogen next week? Oh, I don't know. It was a backstory for us. Okay. All right. Well, it's been fun to have you on for the past three days, Samantha. And, Mark, you better get some sleep because we're going to be seeing you tomorrow morning.

00:30:37 - 00:32:33 | Speaker 1:

Sounds good. Loser gets the prize, by the way, at 5 at 6.55. So, Samantha, you do go away with the five days of Planet Fitness. You've got a Planet Fitness black card for the next year. Planet Fitness, break a sweat, not the bank. Yes. Yes. Thank you so much. It's Mojo in the mornings, 5 at 6.55. All right, Spike, yeah. Yeah, this is it. I can't believe we're all still here and alive after the Jingle Ball last night, but we have very important business to get to. We have a breaking and entering Christmas wish. And let's go live to Mike first and check in. Mike, everybody in place out there? Yeah, we got the whole Red Robin crew here. We are ready to go. Yeah, thank you so much, by the way, to Red Robin, who not only made a huge donation of $30,000 this Christmas to help us with our wishes, but if you visit any Metro Detroit Red Robin tomorrow, they're going to donate 20% of the proceeds to break and entering Christmas wish. They continue the giving all season. It's insane. So thank you to those guys, and they came out to help us deliver today because we have a very special family. Mike, are you with McKenzie? uh no i'm with uh the mother-in-law dina mother dina mother dina oh i got to speak to dina when i was doing the christmas shopping for this family hi dina she said you called she said you called her diner yeah there was a typo on my list i was uh struggling to meet everybody for the first time as i was getting more details about this family and getting to learn a little bit about them um so this is a little differently we have a letter here that was sent to us by a neighbor and Shannon is going to read that letter and then we're going to surprise the family here with breaking and her Christmas wish. And by the way, you can watch this. Is it Facebook Live, Megan? You can watch this wish unfold live on the Mojo in the Morning Facebook.

00:32:33 - 00:32:36 | Speaker 2:

Okay, we got to get LaTasha on the phone first. Do we have her, KP?

00:32:37 - 00:33:02 | Speaker 1:

As soon as she gets that line ringing so you could pick that up there. Oh, we might have lost it. We'll get her back again. It's okay. This happens every break and end Christmas, Wish, because the element of surprise is the most important, and it's live radio, and we can't call them ahead of time or let them know that we're going to call, so KP is dialing Mom again.

00:33:02 - 00:33:03 | Speaker 2:

Okay, here we go.

00:33:04 - 00:33:04 | Speaker 1:

There you go.

00:33:04 - 00:33:05 | Speaker 2:

You can put it up, too.

00:33:06 - 00:33:07 | Speaker 1:

Hello? Hi, LaTosha.

00:33:08 - 00:33:09 | Speaker 2:

Who is this?

00:33:09 - 00:33:36 | Speaker 1:

This is the Mojo on the Morning Show. My name is Spike, and along with Mojo, Shannon, and the entire crew here, we're on the radio, and we got an important letter about you. And do you have a second we can talk to you about it? Yeah. Okay. We got a great letter from a woman named Mackenzie, one of your neighbors. Thank you. And she wrote us talking about how your family is in need and we need to help. Can we read that letter to you?

00:33:37 - 00:33:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:33:38 - 00:33:39 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Here you go.

00:33:39 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 2:

Dear Mojo in the Morning, my name is Mackenzie and I'd like to nominate my neighbors, LaTosha and Devin, for Breaking and Entering Christmas. LaTosha and Devin are parents of two small children, soon to be three children, in May. LaTosha works more than 85 hours a week trying to support their family. They can't afford to have anybody watch the kids, so Devin stays at home with little Chase and Addie. Recently, Latasha suffered a bad injury at work, which means the family is currently living off of $400 a week from her workman's comp. Their rent takes up the majority of the monthly income. There's no room for anything else. No clothes. They can barely afford food. And anything for their sweet kids for Christmas is completely out of the question. They are behind on most of their bills, and I fear that they are going to end up losing their home any day now they've also started pawning some of their belongings to pay bills and make sure the kids are fed to make matters worse they recently had a leak in their bedroom so the entire family is sleeping in the living room with no beds tasha also recently got into a car accident and now the only vehicle this family has is on its last leg this mom and dad would do anything for these kids and it breaks my heart that i know they're struggling

00:35:00 - 00:35:15 | Speaker 5:

so badly, but they're too proud to ask for help. They act like everything's okay, so they don't worry the kids. Please, Mojo, please help this family have a Christmas this year. They truly deserve it. Sincerely, Mackenzie.

00:35:15 - 00:35:33 | Speaker 1:

You have amazing neighbors. But they all tell us the same thing, that you're amazing, LaTosha. And you've been doing so much, from what I understand, working more than 85 hours a week to support your family?

00:35:35 - 00:35:44 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, well, right now, actually, I'm not working at all because of the work injury. But prior to that, yeah, I was working like 85 hours a week, every week.

00:35:44 - 00:36:22 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and we've been getting so many letters and doing so many Christmas wishes of families that are battling illness or facing tragedies like a house fire. And even COVID has really set back a lot of families. But the one thing Mojo was really focused on this year was making sure that we don't lose sight of so many families that just get lost in the bills and with the finances and how the economy is going right now and how many people are struggling with inflation. And something so simple as an injury at work that can keep you from getting those hours can really put you behind in keeping the roof over your head.

00:36:23 - 00:36:24 | Speaker 5:

And putting food on the table.

00:36:24 - 00:36:31 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. And as we understand it with your injury at work, you can't really care for a four-year-old and a two-year-old running around.

00:36:32 - 00:36:34 | Speaker 5:

And you've got a baby in your tummy.

00:36:34 - 00:36:47 | Speaker 1:

And a baby in your tummy, but that's where Devin comes in. So he's got to help take care of the kids while you guys try to get back on your feet here. And that's where it's easy to get lost. And we don't want you to get lost, LaTosha, and that's why we're calling you this morning.

00:36:47 - 00:37:01 | Speaker 5:

So I need you to do me a favor, okay? Okay. Can you walk over to your front door? Because there are some people that are on the other side of that door that are waiting for you.

00:37:10 - 00:37:12 | Speaker 1:

We're breaking and entering right now.

00:37:16 - 00:37:17 | Speaker 5:

There they are.

00:37:18 - 00:37:22 | Speaker 4:

Merry Christmas! Hello? Hi, little ones.

00:37:22 - 00:37:40 | Speaker 5:

LaTosha, that is Mike from the Mojo in the Morning Show, and he's got some of your family members and some of your friends, and we, oh, by the way, and dozens and dozens and dozens of gifts that they're going to be bringing in, and we are bringing some Christmas magic into your home and to your family this year.

00:37:42 - 00:37:43 | Speaker 2:

Holy crap.

00:37:46 - 00:38:20 | Speaker 4:

We heard that you guys could use a good Christmas this year, and maybe even just a little bit of a break. So I don't know if you see all these gifts we have lined by your door right now, but is it all right if we bring these in here? Yeah. Yeah? Yeah? Who's this little guy right here? Chase, how are you? Good. What's your favorite toy in the whole wide world? A remote-controlled car. Well, guess what? We got to do a remote-controlled car in that bag. You want to open it up? Yeah, you do? All right. Let's bring some presents in.

00:38:20 - 00:38:39 | Speaker 5:

Letasha, with everything going on and you're working so much and you're so focused on just staying in your home and making ends meet so that your kids are fed, I mean, was Christmas even going to happen this year?

00:38:39 - 00:38:50 | Speaker 2:

uh sort of not really um more or less from his grandparents we were able to

00:38:50 - 00:39:24 | Speaker 1:

scavenge a few things for them yeah and we spoke to your mom and to devin's mom and they had such a care for making sure that the kids can get a christmas but obviously even And that is a struggle because at the same time they see the leak and the damage done to the house and they want to make sure that your bills are paid and the house is fixed. And it's that balance of what comes first and what's most important. And sadly, the Christmas gifts are usually not the priority. So we want to take care of that for you this morning.

00:39:24 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 5:

So we have gifts for everybody in your family, including you, lots of warm clothes for everybody, lots of toys for Chase and little Addy. We even have some stuff for the new baby on the way, like clothes and diapers and toys and books to read to that little baby, pots and pans. We got to bedding. We know that even just buying gas is a huge struggle for a lot of people right now. So we're going to give you hundreds and hundreds of dollars in gas cards. And we've got restaurant and movie gift cards so you can enjoy some nights out.

00:40:00 - 00:40:20 | Speaker 3:

And we'll give you the Kroger gift card so we can put some food on the table this holiday, too, with $500 from Kroger, LaTosha. People are looking out for you. I'm like, I'm lost, bro. Well, people are looking out for you. They love you. And we don't want you to be struggling this holiday and not being able to have a Christmas dinner with those beautiful children.

00:40:23 - 00:40:31 | Speaker 6:

Thank you so much. Also, make sure. I was going to say, Mike. Mike, you've got something else for her, right? Yeah.

00:40:31 - 00:40:58 | Speaker 4:

Do we know if we got a boy or a girl on the way? A boy. A boy. Do we have a name yet? Cameron. Cameron. I love it so much. Yeah, there are more things. We were thinking, I think you mentioned this, Shannon. You mentioned the new clothes for the baby, right? Yep. And the new toys for them. That's super exciting that you got a little one on the way.

00:40:58 - 00:41:32 | Speaker 3:

And Addie needed her first baby doll. Addie didn't have her baby doll, so we got her all kinds of dolls and Barbies and all that. But Latasha, more important than any of the toys is making sure that you don't fall behind on the bills. And we want to make sure that you can get the home repairs done you so desperately need and that the bills are paid while you're out of work with the injury. So we, Mike has a check for you for $2,500 to make sure those bills are paid.

00:41:39 - 00:41:54 | Speaker 4:

Devin? Speakless right now. We just told her that we're giving you guys a check for $2,500 to help take care of whatever you need.

00:41:54 - 00:41:57 | Speaker 5:

Bells. Merry Christmas.

00:41:59 - 00:42:02 | Speaker 3:

Can we talk to Devin for a second? Yeah, Devin,

00:42:02 - 00:42:02 | Speaker 5:

come on over.

00:42:06 - 00:42:18 | Speaker 6:

It's kind of overwhelming when all of these people you don't know are bringing gifts into your home. I know, I know, but Latasha and Devin, can you guys describe the look on your kids' faces as this is all happening?

00:42:18 - 00:42:25 | Speaker 5:

and addy she's just trying to get into everything

00:42:25 - 00:43:22 | Speaker 3:

i'm not hearing devon on the phone there if you can get him a little closer there you are you there devon yeah your mom was telling us what an amazing dad you are and the same with latasha can you talk to us about latasha and how before the injury how many hours she was putting in to make sure that the family was supported yeah she was just picking up uh every shift working as much as she could just trying to progress further and i'm speechless that's a good thing we like to make people speechless with breaking entering christmas wish how about you don't do the talking we do the partying we're going to play some christmas music and let all the elves bring in the toys and the gifts, and take care of this family for Christmas. It was so nice to meet you, and thank you for letting us in your home, Devin and LaTosha. I appreciate it. Mike, you want to start the party?

00:43:23 - 00:43:42 | Speaker 5:

Absolutely. All right, everybody, Brad, Rob, and the whole crew that are here right now, if you don't mind, I know it's super early, but can I get the loudest Merry Christmas? Chase, I see you opening that remote control car. Can you give me a loud Merry Christmas? Merry Christmas! Oh, I love it! Merry Christmas!

00:43:42 - 00:43:48 | Speaker 3:

Merry Christmas, everyone. It's a breaking and entering Christmas wish on Mojo in the Morning.

00:43:49 - 00:43:55 | Speaker 2:

Breaking and entering. If you missed it, hear it again real soon. Hey, this is not Mojo.

00:43:56 - 00:43:56 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:43:56 - 00:44:07 | Speaker 2:

Mojo's not here. My name is Joe. I'm actually his son. We do the Joe show in the afternoon. Filling in because of the Backstreet Boys. I think my dad, low-key, I think he went out with the Backstreet Boys last night.

00:44:07 - 00:44:12 | Speaker 6:

I'm so jealous. I'm not buying this. They did that song last night, by the way. Oh, my gosh. You guys, I was living my best life.

00:44:12 - 00:44:27 | Speaker 3:

I don't know if you got a chance to see our social media yet, but obviously through the course of the night, we were posting all kinds of things happening with all the bands on stage, all the things backstage. The last one we posted in the Mojo in the Morning story, you could still see, I caught Shannon dancing and living her best life. Oh, that was nothing.

00:44:27 - 00:44:31 | Speaker 6:

I was calm during that moment, actually. That was the calmest I was for their whole set.

00:44:31 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 2:

What I thought was so cool, too, with the Backstreet Boys and it being our Channel 955 Jingle Ball yesterday was the fact that even the iHeart workers who go on tour and they're all packing up and getting ready for the next day. I think they're in New York. They all stopped during the Backstreet Boys and they were dancing too. It was everyone and their mothers. And then there was a big announcement too at Jingle Ball that we're giving away Taylor Swift tickets. Right? Which is pretty exciting. Do I have permission to give...

00:45:00 - 00:45:09 | Speaker 1:

that keyword right now yeah go ahead why not i'm gonna have spike i'm gonna have shannon i like we end one concert we immediately start looking forward to the next one that's the way it works

00:45:09 - 00:45:29 | Speaker 6:

that's the way it works but listen no other one giving you a chance to win right now especially not uh ticket master your shot to win taylor swift tickets right now is when you text taylor that's t-a-y-l-o-r if you don't know how to spell taylor you don't deserve to win though text that to 95500 standard data and message rates do apply in the contest thank you for

00:45:29 - 00:45:46 | Speaker 2:

laughing under me big big difference between you and your dad is you can spell words very easily he struggles a little bit yeah he struggles a little bit um that's because that was an easy word no no actually it's the easy words trip we love him honestly yeah it's right there though

00:45:46 - 00:45:54 | Speaker 6:

that's why oh he can't even read no i can't read and the new pronunciation of ticket master is Take care of myself.

00:45:54 - 00:46:12 | Speaker 1:

We all had about two hours sleep, as you can tell. We're going to be giddy all morning. Everybody's coming in with half a voice. I mean, Mojo was completely knocked out at the end of the night. But we had such a great time last night. And thank you to the listeners that came out and made a big sold-out show with Jingle Ball. Every artist was so good, I don't even know how we would pick a favorite.

00:46:13 - 00:46:13 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:46:13 - 00:46:38 | Speaker 1:

But it's more about, for us, what happened before and after the show. And we're going to get more into the show itself this morning. We'll talk about what happened last night. but can we talk about the fact that there's a romance budding in this room and we have two producers producing the show this morning as we are merging the Joe show and the Mojo in the morning show look through the producer's window there in the next booth here KP and Jed both have their little headsets

00:46:38 - 00:46:45 | Speaker 6:

there's no reason why they should be sitting that close by the way they've been moving closer and closer as the morning's gone on

00:46:45 - 00:46:47 | Speaker 2:

what did they used to say to you at Catholic school

00:46:47 - 00:46:48 | Speaker 1:

at a dance

00:46:48 - 00:46:50 | Speaker 2:

leave room for Jesus

00:46:50 - 00:46:59 | Speaker 1:

Ashley broke the Breaking Dirty to Shannon this morning for Dirty on the 30. They didn't go back right home to bed last night. No, they didn't.

00:46:59 - 00:47:02 | Speaker 2:

I dropped them off at the casino, baby.

00:47:03 - 00:47:06 | Speaker 6:

What did you guys do with it? There's so much that I want to know.

00:47:08 - 00:47:19 | Speaker 4:

We went to the casino, and then we went to Greek... I don't even... We went to the casino, we went and we got McDonald's in White Castle, and then we stayed up until we had to get here today.

00:47:19 - 00:47:22 | Speaker 2:

So, was there any sleep?

00:47:23 - 00:47:24 | Speaker 4:

I did not sleep.

00:47:24 - 00:47:28 | Speaker 2:

KP, did you sleep? KP.

00:47:28 - 00:47:35 | Speaker 6:

So, he let me sleep for an hour. He was, like, doing work on the couch. What do you mean? What do you mean? He let you sleep.

00:47:35 - 00:47:39 | Speaker 3:

Where did you sleep? She slept in my bed.

00:47:40 - 00:47:42 | Speaker 6:

And what? You sat on your computer and watched her, you weirdo?

00:47:43 - 00:47:49 | Speaker 3:

No, the couch is in the other room, and I was just sitting there working on some other stuff, and I was trying to get stuff set up.

00:47:49 - 00:48:19 | Speaker 6:

Hey, by the way, you know what's so bogus? We were staying in Detroit. So we had what? Like a 35, 40-minute drive-in this morning. The whole entire time, Jed makes no reference to the fact that KP was even in his room. Then I get a text from KP this morning at like 3 a.m. I was giving you kudos to myself in my head, granted. But about the fact that, wow, she wakes up so early. Maybe it's because she showed up late yesterday that she's trying to make up for. You were just making out with Jed.

00:48:21 - 00:48:31 | Speaker 1:

That is not true. Prove it. Here's the... Oh, this is fun. This is more fun than any of the dirt we have on the Backstreet Boys and Macklemore.

00:48:31 - 00:48:36 | Speaker 6:

Wait, but speaking of dirt, speaking of dirt, and obviously there's a lot that we got to dive in with this.

00:48:36 - 00:48:37 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, we got to unpack that whole thing.

00:48:37 - 00:48:39 | Speaker 6:

Backstreet Boys and Jed.

00:48:39 - 00:48:41 | Speaker 2:

Please tell me what happened.

00:48:41 - 00:48:57 | Speaker 6:

Well, here, this is what we're going to do. Five lies to tell your mom. I think we got to get into it right now. And then we'll go with why was Jed a security threat? Or rather, why were the Backstreet Boys a security threat to Jed in minutes on Mojo in the Morning?

00:48:58 - 00:48:59 | Speaker 4:

It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:49:01 - 00:49:02 | Unknown:

Sweet.

00:49:03 - 00:49:04 | Speaker 4:

Five lies to tell your mom.

00:49:05 - 00:49:18 | Speaker 5:

Kayla. Yeah, this is? You ready for five lies to tell your mom? Yeah. We are going to call your mom up, and we are going to ruin her dreams of that wonderful wedding that you are going to be having.

00:49:20 - 00:49:21 | Speaker 2:

She's going to be mad.

00:49:22 - 00:49:31 | Speaker 5:

What kind of mom do you have? Do you have the sweet mom that you see on those sitcoms, or do you have the mom that gets crazy and will throw down a couple F-bombs?

00:49:32 - 00:49:35 | Speaker 6:

She'll throw down a couple F-bombs for sure.

00:49:35 - 00:49:46 | Speaker 5:

All right. Let's do it. We're going to call her up. Five lives tell your mom. Lie number one that we are going to have you tell. You're going to say, Mom, I need to move back in with you. Okay. Lie number two.

00:49:47 - 00:49:51 | Speaker 2:

Say, my fiance, Josh, wants to call off the wedding. Okay.

00:49:51 - 00:49:55 | Speaker 1:

Lie number three. I cheated on him with one of my friends.

00:49:55 - 00:49:56 | Unknown:

Oh, man.

00:49:57 - 00:49:58 | Speaker 1:

Lie number four.

00:49:58 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 5:

I did it to get back at him.

00:50:00 - 00:50:11 | Speaker 1:

for cheating on me okay and line number five now he wants to kick me out of the house we're gonna call your mom up and we're gonna see what she's gonna do all right

00:50:11 - 00:52:20 | Speaker 4:

hello hey mom hey why are you coming up restricted uh well i broke my phone and so i'm using my neighbors. Kayla, you just got there and told me how you couldn't afford your phone bill and now this. Well, yeah, because something happened and I'm like freaking out a little bit. Well, okay, well, I have to move back in with you. Now, you know the rules on this, right? I have to because Josh is kicking me out. How is he going to kick you out of your damn house? Well, he's calling He's coming off the wedding, he's breaking up with me and he doesn't want to be with me anymore because I messed it all up. How did you mess it up? Because I cheated on him for cheating on me. Kayla Marie, I raised you better than this. I just, everything going on, I've been super angry and the chance came up and I took it. Kayla excuses are like we've all got one and that one is a big thank you one now come on but you know all this stuff that's been going on yeah I know all this stuff and it doesn't make it excusable I don't know I don't know what you want me to say I don't know what you're gonna do I don't either I mean I have to move back in with you I don't have anywhere else to go no I could be a horrible mom and tell you to figure it out when you grow up you know better i raised you better you are an adult now i just i didn't know like i didn't expect him to find out i guess so do i know this person or is it just some random piece it was sean are you kidding me no hi mom hi sean how are you

00:52:20 - 00:52:27 | Speaker 1:

I just wanted to jump on here because I know you guys were talking about me.

00:52:29 - 00:52:46 | Speaker 4:

John, this isn't okay by any means. I thought you were better than that. You know I've walked you into our family. And you do this. I thought you'd be even a little bit happy that I was saying instead of just someone, like, random.

00:52:46 - 00:52:46 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, Mom.

00:52:47 - 00:52:49 | Speaker 4:

You don't know the f*** you're talking about, John.

00:52:50 - 00:52:55 | Speaker 1:

Kayla, why don't you tell your mom the last bit of information that you haven't told her yet?

00:52:57 - 00:53:07 | Speaker 4:

You better not tell me your birth control failed. No, my birth control didn't fail. This is the five lives you tell your mom.

00:53:10 - 00:53:22 | Speaker 2:

I'm looking at you guys every morning. How could I not know that? Doesn't Sean sound a whole lot like Mojo? Oh, my God, Mojo, you are now on my crap list.

00:53:23 - 00:53:29 | Speaker 4:

Now you're going to watch it. I'm crying. I'm at work. I'm crying. And, yeah.

00:53:30 - 00:53:38 | Speaker 1:

Mom, we are going to give you a prize for being on the air with us. We're going to give you a limo, and we're going to take you out to a really nice place to go have dinner.

00:53:39 - 00:54:03 | Speaker 4:

That's awesome. Yeah. I guess I can hug you guys again. She could definitely use it. Oh, people just don't even understand. You guys are my sanity in the morning. I listen to you guys from 6.30 until 8 o'clock, and then I get my guys ready to go for the day, and then my one gentleman cracks up laughing at you guys every morning.

00:54:03 - 00:54:05 | Speaker 1:

Oh, man. What's his name? What's that guy's name?

00:54:05 - 00:54:10 | Speaker 4:

Well, I can't say his name because it's a HIPAA thing, but his name's Vincent. I can't say that much.

00:54:10 - 00:54:14 | Speaker 1:

Well, listen, we appreciate that. That's very nice of you to be listening to us. Thank you so much.

00:54:14 - 00:54:17 | Speaker 4:

You guys are amazing in the morning. Thank you, guys.

00:54:18 - 00:54:24 | Speaker 1:

Well, hey, next time Kayla does some crap like this and it's actually real, turn us on so we can make you laugh, okay?

00:54:24 - 00:54:29 | Speaker 4:

I'll have to. I'll have to. It's Mojo in the Morning. Four, five.

00:54:30 - 00:54:30 | Unknown:

Sweet.

00:54:31 - 00:54:32 | Speaker 2:

Five lies to tell your mom.

00:54:34 - 00:54:45 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Shannon, Shannon, Shannon. By the way, this is JoJoJo in for Mojo. Go ahead. Give us that dirty.

00:54:45 - 00:55:39 | Speaker 2:

Well, Taylor Swift, BTS Lizzo, Selena Gomez, and actress Elizabeth Olsen each won multiple awards at last night's People's Choice Awards hosted by Kenan Thompson. Did you guys know it was on? Because I did not, but it was on. Taylor Swift. Lizzo took home three awards, Top Female Artist of 2022, Top Music Video for Antihero, and the album of 2022 with Midnight's No Surprise There. BTS taking home two awards, The Group for the Year. Top Concert Tour, Selena Gomez was named Social Celebrity of the Year. Also taking home trophies last night, Top Gun Maverick, Stranger Things, Becky G, Carrie Underwood, Beat Out, both Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen for Country Artist of 2022. Lizzo took home Song of the Year for It's About Damn Time. I'm not the girl I was or used to be. Oh, bitch, I might be better. Period. Thank you so much. People's Choice.

00:55:40 - 00:55:43 | Speaker 3:

Does she ever have a bad day? She can sing anywhere, anytime.

00:55:44 - 00:56:18 | Speaker 2:

I love that Shania Twain won the Music Icon Award because she is. And Ryan Reynolds received the People's Icon Award, another special one last night. Speaking of Taylor Swift, dozens of Taylor Swift fans and one angry lawyer, who's also a Swifty, important to note here, want Ticketmaster to stand trial for screwing them out of tickets. Attorney Jennifer Kinder filed the lawsuit last week against Ticketmaster. We talked about this in The Dirty this week already. And she's explaining why she's not buying Ticketmaster's claim that the presale event problems were simply a supply and demand issue.

00:56:18 - 00:56:37 | Speaker 1:

The argument that Ticketmaster typically makes is this is simply a supply and demand and this is just economics. But the problem is from the email that they sent out, which said you would be moved to the front of the line. All of those combined created a scenario where this sale was utter chaos.

00:56:37 - 00:56:45 | Speaker 2:

She said, look, this comes down to simple math and pre-sale codes. It's all about the pre-sale codes.

00:56:45 - 00:57:09 | Speaker 1:

They give out too many codes. They give out 1.5 million codes that would allow that code holder to buy six tickets at three different locations. That's 24 million seats. Of course, you know, there's only about 2.8 million available. There was never going to be the ability that they could ever satisfy the demand. You know what I just noticed?

00:57:09 - 00:57:15 | Speaker 2:

This is like my nerdy brain at work. Isn't Taylor Swift's number 13? Yes. And there are 13 people that are part of this lawsuit.

00:57:15 - 00:57:19 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh. Could that be an accident? If the lawyer is a Swifty.

00:57:19 - 00:57:30 | Speaker 2:

Don't roll your eyes at me. I'm actually really proud of myself for thinking about that. I have too much Botox to roll my eyes at. The saga continues here Jesse James' pregnant wife

00:57:30 - 00:57:37 | Speaker 4:

Real quick, Shane I don't want to cut you off On the dirty I'm sorry It's okay But we have Taylor Swift tickets So everyone is mad And wants to sue away

00:57:37 - 00:57:40 | Speaker 3:

We're still allowed To give hours away The concert's still happening

00:57:40 - 00:57:42 | Speaker 4:

9.35, okay?

00:57:42 - 00:58:25 | Speaker 2:

Okay, alright Jesse James' pregnant wife His fifth wife, by the way Bonnie Rotten Has filed for divorce again The former You can stop playing Taylor Swift The former porn star Just realized that There's a lot of stuff going on I'm not used to these buttons She refiled her papers At a Texas courthouse yesterday Now I say refiled because She originally filed for divorce on December 1st After she found Jesse James DMing other women Specifically his ex A few days later she regretted that decision Filed to stop the divorce And then yesterday went and something happened I don't know because they're getting divorced again She posted on Instagram that he couldn't Keep it She posted her sonogram and then just says, like, can't. I love that. Yeah. He couldn't keep what?

00:58:25 - 00:58:26 | Speaker 4:

Can't keep it in there. Yeah.

00:58:26 - 00:59:03 | Speaker 2:

Dope. Can't keep it in there. And... In where? Lastly, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are only days away from dropping what promises to be a bombshell documentary about their time with the royal family. Do not call Meghan or I when this is on the day. I'm so excited, dude. It is going to be so good. Well, last night they made an appearance at the Ripple of Hope Gala in New York City to accept the Anti-Racism Award. I thought Meghan looked stunning. by the way. But the gala highlights leaders who have shown a commitment to social change. Past recipients include Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, just to name a few. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on MojoInTheMorning.com.

00:59:52 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 4:

Don't worry about it. Don't worry. Maybe he likes to be tied up, and I'm just doing, you know, his wishes. But I am Joe. I am his son.

01:00:00 - 01:00:12 | Speaker 1:

You hear me normally on the afternoon. Spike is still here. Shannon, Megan, Mike, Reese, KP, the whole entire gang. But it's a Joe Show crossover as well. I'm looking at Ashley Nix. Hello, Ashley. Hello.

01:00:13 - 01:00:16 | Speaker 4:

Ashley, it's great to have you back. I know. It's great to be back to you.

01:00:16 - 01:00:25 | Speaker 1:

It's great to be back to you. Wait a second. You guys just asked if I tied my dad up, but she gets the love treatment. I don't know how to tell you this. We've liked her way more than you for a long time. I knew it.

01:00:26 - 01:00:30 | Speaker 2:

I've known it. She's happy. She's single. She's a cancer. She's living her best life in the D right now.

01:00:31 - 01:00:34 | Speaker 1:

And then Jed is here too. Living his best life.

01:00:34 - 01:00:35 | Speaker 4:

He's okay.

01:00:35 - 01:00:41 | Speaker 1:

We need to get into a phone scam. That's coming up. Do we have time to talk about what Jed did?

01:00:42 - 01:01:36 | Speaker 2:

Yes. We do have to recap this. First of all, amazing show last night. Jingle Ball, the first ever in Detroit. And I know there'll be more because it was sold out and the bands loved it and our company loved it. So we got to make this an annual tradition. The bands were all incredible. but at the end of the night the entire staff of this radio station got up backstage because we were all going to go out together to introduce the Backstreet Boys final act of the night and the boys from the Backstreet Boys came up on stage and they were kind of like getting their little vocals ready getting in place because the stage was going to revolve and they were going to come out and appear to the audience so as they're getting ready they all come over and say hi to us and we all have a long history at the Backstreet Boys but I look over in the corner of my eye and I see something. I thought they were joking and then I realized, there's a little confrontation in the corner between Kevin from the Backstreet Boys and Jed.

01:01:37 - 01:01:41 | Speaker 4:

Was it Kevin? Or was it AJ? It was Kevin. So all morning everybody's been saying it was AJ. It was Kevin.

01:01:41 - 01:01:43 | Speaker 2:

No, it was Kevin. The long coat.

01:01:43 - 01:01:46 | Speaker 4:

He was wearing the long white coat. Sexy hair.

01:01:46 - 01:01:48 | Speaker 2:

Tallest Backstreet Boys.

01:01:48 - 01:01:48 | Speaker 4:

Sexy hair.

01:01:48 - 01:01:54 | Speaker 1:

And by the way, we can confirm it because we do have video of the original...

01:01:54 - 01:01:55 | Speaker 4:

What happened?

01:01:55 - 01:02:11 | Speaker 1:

I have to say Jed acted like what he said wasn't bad But I actually, I really do I genuinely believe that this is something That you cannot say to people Like, Spike, if you see another guy And he doesn't have any hair You're not going to mention that he's bald

01:02:11 - 01:02:14 | Speaker 2:

No, I say, Mike, that's a great outfit

01:02:14 - 01:02:27 | Speaker 1:

Now, Kevin is tall He's the tallest Backstreet Boy And while I kind of agree with what you said I wouldn't say to him right before he gets on stage But, Jed, what exactly did you say?

01:02:27 - 01:02:31 | Speaker 3:

I said, oh, I thought you were taller than me.

01:02:32 - 01:02:34 | Speaker 1:

Kevin did not like that one bit.

01:02:34 - 01:02:42 | Speaker 2:

And I'm not sure if he doesn't like being tall or doesn't like being called out. Like, it just was pointing out the physical appearance for some reason triggered him.

01:02:43 - 01:02:44 | Speaker 1:

What it was was.

01:02:44 - 01:02:46 | Speaker 4:

That was it? No, no, no, no, no. Come at me, bro.

01:02:46 - 01:03:12 | Speaker 1:

I'm with Kevin on this. I think that he's totally in the right because he, what Jed said was, I thought you were taller than me and then Jed kind of like muscles up and he's wearing already, I don't know if you noticed his buttons were like about to fly out his shirt was so tight yesterday I think that Kevin thought that you were trying to fight him right before he was on stage who talks to an artist too right before the stage turns around it's a wild move

01:03:12 - 01:03:20 | Speaker 4:

no you were gassing him up and you tried to sun him, you were like bro I thought you were taller than that, like what? oh well can we listen to the audio?

01:03:21 - 01:03:37 | Speaker 1:

we have audio Oh, here we actually do have audio and there is, there is video. Um, we got to get that at Mojo in the morning on Instagram. It's on Ashley's at Ashley Nix. I mean, all of the jingle ball craziness. Here we go. So you do hear Ashley talking to Kevin first.

01:03:37 - 01:03:42 | Speaker 4:

You got that. My boy, clean. My boy, Kevin, clean.

01:03:42 - 01:03:46 | Speaker 3:

Ow. I thought you were taller than me.

01:03:46 - 01:03:49 | Speaker 2:

Oh, there it is.

01:03:49 - 01:04:00 | Speaker 1:

The bomb was dropped. It's twice. It's twice, too, and you can hear Kevin if you listen very closely. He says what? In the video, you see him turn around, and Kevin literally walked right up to you about two inches away from you. Nose to nose.

01:04:00 - 01:04:06 | Speaker 2:

That's what I saw, and I thought, what are they doing? Do they have a history? Do they know each other? Is there something wrong here? My boy, Clee.

01:04:06 - 01:04:12 | Speaker 3:

My boy, Kevin Clee. Ow. I thought you were taller than me.

01:04:13 - 01:04:18 | Speaker 4:

Notice I cut the video off because I was like, if they're going to fight, I can't record this. I can't have Jed get beat up on camera.

01:04:18 - 01:04:57 | Speaker 2:

That's where you went wrong, Ashley. You should have been like, world star. I looked over and they're both Puffing their chest, they're both nose to nose And they both are trying to make Themselves look the tallest And I see Mojo who's At this point he's really not feeling well He was sick He steps up in between them Trying to make a joke of it What are you guys doing over here And I'm like what is happening And it all comes back to the point that When we're on stage the bands are all coming out They're about to perform, we all kind of lay back we don't talk to him too much unless it's just to say hi or thank you we kind of leave him to do their thing and i was like what is happening here oh my gosh this is getting crazy what ashley said

01:04:57 - 01:04:58 | Speaker 1:

was good

01:05:00 - 01:05:02 | Speaker 7:

He liked it. What Jed said.

01:05:05 - 01:05:09 | Speaker 5:

Who says that to anyone?

01:05:09 - 01:05:13 | Speaker 7:

Can I be honest? 844-665-6548.

01:05:14 - 01:05:21 | Speaker 5:

We were told not to drink yesterday, correct? Yes. I disobeyed one of the Ten Commandments. What did you drink?

01:05:21 - 01:05:23 | Speaker 3:

You cannot blame it on the alcohol.

01:05:24 - 01:05:27 | Speaker 5:

Always blame it on the alcohol. Yeah, exactly.

01:05:27 - 01:05:27 | Speaker 3:

But that.

01:05:27 - 01:05:44 | Speaker 5:

that i had three shots of tequila i had another don't look at me with that puppy face do i look like i've had any sleep shannon well we know what you were doing yeah i had no i had i was very tired it was a long day i was drinking alcohol i shouldn't

01:05:44 - 01:06:06 | Speaker 7:

have been drinking alcohol and i insulted the name now and if you're just tuning on the radio first of all joe show and mojo in the morning right now which is so much fun but kp and and And Jed, the both producers, they went back together. KP, was that the big moment for you when you saw, oh, my God, this 9.5 might fight a Backstreet boy? Now I really want to go back to the hotel with him?

01:06:06 - 01:06:31 | Speaker 3:

No, it didn't even cross my mind, to be honest. I have this to come for you, Jed. I don't think that that was that bad. No, it was bad. I really don't. I don't think that that was bad. I swear, I feel like we met so many listeners last night, and I loved, loved, loved meeting listeners. And the comment that I always get was, wow, you're so short. I thought you were taller. It never offends me. Ever, ever, ever. I was just going to say that. And so, for you to say that, like, there had to be something else that you said.

01:06:32 - 01:06:34 | Speaker 5:

I just told you. It was not. Really?

01:06:34 - 01:06:39 | Speaker 3:

Because that, to me, is like, meh. That's not. I feel like he would not get that upset over that.

01:06:39 - 01:06:41 | Speaker 5:

Well, he's also about to go and perform on stage, too.

01:06:41 - 01:06:47 | Speaker 7:

Height is also different, like, I don't know. If you're a woman, being short in the thing. Right. It's true. So, when I was walking around the concourse

01:06:47 - 01:07:19 | Speaker 4:

taking selfies last night all night, I think one in four listeners would go, wow, you're a lot shorter than I thought on the air because people are meeting us for the first time. No. And to me, I'm over it. I don't care. I'm comfortable with my height. But it's funny when people say that, and you don't realize some people might be triggered by that. I don't know how it is for tall guys, but I imagine there's people that are probably also sensitive to that. I don't know. If I were Backstreet Boys, I'd probably be over it too because at this point, you've had an incredible 25-year career. But something about last night, I thought, oh, this is going south fast. What's happening here?

01:07:19 - 01:07:47 | Speaker 7:

Something was going to happen. Something was going to get, you know. Hey, Alicia, you were at Jingle Ball last night, right? Yes, I was with my husband. And aside from having you, did you have an incredible time? Was it a good show? It was a great show. What did you think about the Backstreet Boys performance? Could you at any point notice that Kevin was maybe thinking about producer Jed punching his face in while singing I Want It That Way and or Last Christmas?

01:07:47 - 01:07:54 | Speaker 1:

no i cannot say that but 14 year old me was screaming aesthetically the whole time oh it's

01:07:54 - 01:08:13 | Speaker 4:

so nice i i was a little nervous because i noticed during the show then jed wiggled around to the front of the stage and stood right under the band front row to watch the show and i'm like man if kevin comes over to this corner of the stage and looks down and sees that face it's gonna be trouble it'd be bad alicia did you buy your tickets or did you win them from us we bought

01:08:13 - 01:08:20 | Speaker 2:

tickets um up in the nosebleeds we were in section 215 and then we got upgraded to four seats in the

01:08:20 - 01:08:42 | Speaker 4:

seventh row nice yeah we were as a morning show we were all going around all night going all the way up to the cheap seats all the way in the back to the nosebleeds and we were just picking people and dragging them down i brought a the cutest little boy down from the last row all the way to the front row put him in the front row and then macklemore was singing a whole song to him it was so incredible so we love you guys thanks for hanging out and sharing with us yeah are we

01:08:42 - 01:08:48 | Speaker 7:

allowed to say that because of the success of jingle ball can we now announce that we're going

01:08:48 - 01:08:56 | Speaker 4:

to have one next year even though it's not confirmed we're going to make the official announcement even though nobody told us it's going to happen if we talk about it so much and we put

01:08:56 - 01:09:21 | Speaker 7:

the pressure on someone like tony he's going to have to make the calls to make it happen i call it manifesting we're putting it out in the universe 100 we're going to keep you 15 feet away from kevin richardson at all times will you ever talk to another artist performer before they get on stage again absolutely yeah yeah why wouldn't i lessons not learned no at all i i don't know where your sweepers are too by the way i would love to run a sweeper you know i hit the

01:09:21 - 01:09:27 | Speaker 4:

macro and i'll just intro the here i'll do this yeah perfect that a good sweeper hey spike what's

01:09:27 - 01:09:32 | Speaker 6:

coming up with your phone scan here while you're introing yeah let's do a mojo in the morning phone

01:09:32 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 4:

scam walder is a general manager of a restaurant that we've all enjoyed and um i can't say the name of it but apparently this place is a big flirty party with the staff it's a fun place to work much like it is here as we've just learned uh some people maybe have a little flirty co-worker time but that's aside from the point i'm gonna accuse the manager of dating an employee and sexual harassment so let's really see him squirm we will we will scam you

01:10:00 - 01:10:12 | Speaker 2:

Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scams. Mojo in the morning. Good afternoon. I think we're calling out. This is the Bell Bell Bell featuring great food to go. This is Chuck speaking, and how can I help you?

01:10:13 - 01:10:14 | Speaker 1:

Chuck, I'm looking for Walter, please.

01:10:14 - 01:10:15 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. Hold that one moment.

01:10:15 - 01:10:18 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. Oh, my God. What is that?

01:10:22 - 01:10:23 | Unknown:

Hello, it's Walter. May I help you?

01:10:23 - 01:10:30 | Speaker 1:

Walter. Yeah. This is Bert Ward from the home office in Overland Park. How are you? All right. How are you doing? Good. Do you have a second to talk?

01:10:31 - 01:10:31 | Unknown:

Sure.

01:10:31 - 01:10:43 | Speaker 1:

It's kind of a sensitive topic, but I was asked to bring this to your attention and follow it to the next level. Okay. There's been a complaint filed about a bartender named ****.

01:10:43 - 01:10:44 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

01:10:45 - 01:10:49 | Speaker 1:

And it involves maybe you being a little too flirtatious.

01:10:49 - 01:10:50 | Speaker 3:

Really?

01:10:50 - 01:10:51 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:10:53 - 01:10:54 | Speaker 3:

Okey-doke.

01:10:54 - 01:11:09 | Speaker 1:

And obviously, you being a manager, that could be a sensitive topic. Yes, it could. I don't need to tell you, if this gets up to Lloyd Hill's office, we're all cooked like a Christmas goose. Right, I understand. Can you fill me in on your end, what's going on in the store? I mean, obviously I'm not local, so I don't know what's going on there.

01:11:10 - 01:11:22 | Speaker 3:

Not a clue where that would come from. If the complaint came from her, I would find that odd, because I have actually had a conversation with her about watching what she says to other people.

01:11:22 - 01:11:31 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, see, I don't know if it's coming from her or from someone else. It could be coming from someone else in the store. Oh, okay. When you say you had a conversation with her, does that mean...

01:11:31 - 01:11:45 | Speaker 3:

She sometimes speaks a little too freely to guests and other employees. Oh, okay. She's kind of a rowdy, outspoken kind of girl. I can pretty honestly say that I haven't instigated anything that I would feel would get me in trouble.

01:11:46 - 01:12:23 | Speaker 1:

You haven't? I'll tell you what I hear. I mean, other than just conversations that might be making people uncomfortable in the store, it's also they're saying maybe you guys, you buy her a lot of gifts? never once no jewelry clothing undergarments gardening supplies gallon of milk jumper cables salad spinner pet spider monkey is this a joke well it's not i mean total sales for the concept reached 2.93 billion last year and we can't be putting all that on the line with any

01:12:23 - 01:12:36 | Speaker 3:

harassment suit or anything i agree 100 never bought her a gift never bought her a dinner never uh spoken to her outside my building do you call her naughty sugar muffin around other

01:12:36 - 01:13:07 | Speaker 1:

employees no okay it's a corporate policy in handling a complaint such as this uh you know obviously we go through the initial employee interviews find out what's really going on right um that's followed by a probationary period uh which is where we'll schedule you guys for opposite working hours we'll ask you to not schedule her while you're working and vice versa we'll just ask you to call us here in the office whenever you need to talk to her so we can arrange for a witness to all conversations and encounters you know just that there's a third party involved

01:13:07 - 01:13:13 | Speaker 3:

you're saying if i have to come to the bar and have the bartender do something i have to call

01:13:13 - 01:13:24 | Speaker 1:

you guys yeah i mean obviously first you can just get somebody else to go to the bar but if you think you really need to talk to the bartender then maybe you call us and then we'll set up for somebody to be there at the time to witness the conversation.

01:13:26 - 01:13:30 | Speaker 3:

I really don't see how that's feasible to do and run in a restaurant as a general manager.

01:13:33 - 01:14:07 | Speaker 1:

Also, if a customer orders a summer squeeze or a patty melt, you'll have to allow another team member to fill the order due to the double entendre and the titles there. Who am I speaking to? And one more thing, I'll appreciate your cooperation. I mean, it's not a sprint, it's a marathon. If anyone comes to your restaurant and they sit down to eat with their family, I want you to tell them that you've just been a victim of a Mojo in the morning phone scam. Walter, this isn't really burnt word from corporate. Yeah, I figured. Jennifer, Angie, and Kathy called us from the other Applebee's and wanted us to give you a phone scam. Oh, that's funny.

01:14:09 - 01:14:11 | Speaker 2:

So if you don't call her honey or sweetie, what do

01:14:11 - 01:14:14 | Speaker 3:

you call her? Oh, let's not even go there.

01:14:16 - 01:14:23 | Speaker 2:

We will We will scam you. You're home with a phone scam.

01:14:23 - 01:14:27 | Speaker 1:

This is Mojo in the Morning show. You've just been phone scammed, sugar. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:14:28 - 01:14:32 | Unknown:

Watch out. Watch out. Make some noise.

01:14:34 - 01:14:39 | Speaker 2:

For Mojo. Mike Shannon. For Mojo in the Morning.

01:14:42 - 01:14:48 | Speaker 3:

How many shows do I have to fill in before we change that? And it says, Joe. Well, hand over your punch card.

01:14:48 - 01:14:51 | Speaker 1:

I get one. Five shows and you get a new name.

01:14:51 - 01:15:00 | Speaker 3:

Amazing. Yeah, so it is a little crossover. Mojo in the morning with the Joe Show. I am Joe.

01:15:00 - 01:15:04 | Speaker 4:

Joe filling in for my dad, who was a little under the weather after last night. A lot under the weather?

01:15:05 - 01:15:08 | Speaker 3:

He was a lot under the weather. I felt so bad for him. He was trying so hard. Yeah.

01:15:09 - 01:15:10 | Speaker 4:

He was struggling.

01:15:10 - 01:15:12 | Speaker 3:

And he was so looking forward to last night, too.

01:15:13 - 01:15:36 | Speaker 2:

And unlike all you schmoes who just drank too much, stayed out too late, he was legitimately sick. Some people come in here with no voices this morning, Ashley. What? But some people went to the casino late and had other extracurricular activities. Yeah. And I'm glad Was I Shannon Were you and I The only responsible ones Who were like Out the door Megan Megan left before

01:15:36 - 01:15:37 | Speaker 3:

I think I was the last one

01:15:37 - 01:15:38 | Speaker 2:

Hold on one second

01:15:38 - 01:15:41 | Speaker 3:

I was the last one To leave the venue

01:15:41 - 01:15:54 | Speaker 4:

I was super responsible Were you? Thank you When they told They were like Hey by the way You gotta fill in for your dad Mind you This is a completely Different experience Than anything I've ever had In my job I'm freaking the hell out I didn't even like No I was They didn't even invite me

01:15:54 - 01:16:12 | Speaker 1:

I felt so bad We had a FaceTime call Before all this Or whatever and then two seconds later, they're like, hey, you want to go to the casino? I'm like, I feel so bad we didn't tell Joe. But I feel like if we tell Dad, he's going to be like, no, stay inside. So we didn't tell Dad. I want credit because EJ last night called me and was like, we're going to the casino. Get out of here.

01:16:12 - 01:16:17 | Speaker 4:

I was like, I'm in bed. My makeup is off. Leave me alone. Literally, just about the shower. I felt bad.

01:16:19 - 01:16:46 | Speaker 2:

Mike and I carpooled and we had Meg and Allie with him and I said, we got to leave. There's two Backstreet Boys songs. We have to leave. We have to be in our car when they say goodnight because we have to be in bed. I'm like all the way up the lodge, almost home. And I go, oh, my God. Was I supposed to drive Megan home? Oh, my God. And I start having a panic attack. Did I leave Megan on the curb? And I thought, no, she didn't say anything all night. I think she had her car. I don't remember.

01:16:46 - 01:16:47 | Speaker 3:

I could have taken her home, too.

01:16:47 - 01:16:48 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. I panicked.

01:16:48 - 01:16:49 | Speaker 4:

Shannon, when did you get home?

01:16:50 - 01:16:51 | Speaker 3:

I got home at 1230.

01:16:52 - 01:17:01 | Speaker 4:

Because we need to talk about you right now. 1-844-665-6548-844-MOJO-LIVE. But Shannon Smith.

01:17:02 - 01:17:22 | Speaker 3:

Wait. Oh, I was like, what did I do? No, no, I won't. I did not do anything. Okay, so if you are a parent in the car. Actually, you know what? You don't need to because this is a great story about the tooth fairy, okay? So my little Smith, who's five and a half, just lost his very first tooth. Teeth. I know you love your Smith.

01:17:22 - 01:17:22 | Speaker 1:

My boy's growing up.

01:17:22 - 01:18:57 | Speaker 3:

teeth gross me out okay so he's like wiggling it and wiggling it and wiggling it for the past couple of days it comes out at school and he is like so incredibly excited to put it under his pillow and for the tooth fairy to visit and give him his dollar okay because that's what we do in our house first tooth is a dollar second tooth is two dollars third tooth is three dollars and so on so lucy's up to nine bucks at this point okay she's gonna make some money it's 260 dollars she figured it out okay so his teacher so sweet gives him this little itty itty bitty baby tooth in a ziploc bag and staples it to a certificate that says like i lost my first tooth and it has all his information on it and whatever so proud he's carrying that ziploc baggie with him with the tooth in it all day comes time for him to go to bed um and i said to him where where is the tooth because we wrote a letter to the tooth fairy and we were going to put it in an envelope to put under his pillow and he looked at me with this blank stare and i go dude you got to go get your tooth you got to put your tooth in that in the thing he goes i don't know where it is and i said what do you mean where's the ziploc baggie and he said well the bag's here he took the little teeny tiny tooth out of the bag and it was lost somewhere in my house do you think he was putting it back in his mouth no talk about i don't know what he was doing with it but talk about a needle in a haystack i we are searching lucy and i had to search my entire house for a tooth that's half the size of my my pinky toenail is your toenail called your pinky toenail your baby toenail i like

01:18:57 - 01:18:58 | Speaker 4:

That's not the way that sounds. Okay. I think that makes sense.

01:18:59 - 01:19:05 | Speaker 3:

I mean, we were in like a sheer panic. So he literally lost his tooth and then lost his tooth.

01:19:07 - 01:19:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. And the panic ensues because then you have to start thinking, what am I going to tell? You know, the tooth fairy needs something or do I need some tooth? The tooth fairy needs something.

01:19:16 - 01:19:42 | Speaker 3:

The tooth fairy usually wants to save that first tooth, right? It's very important to her. So, yeah, I mean, it was big to do. finally found it wedged in between a crack in the tile of my bathroom floor and the molding of my bathroom sink. I don't know how. By the grace of God, I found this little thing. I also think it's pretty weird that the tooth fairy decides to keep the first tooth. No. I think she really cherishes that.

01:19:42 - 01:19:52 | Speaker 2:

The first one's special. Some tooth fairies are weird and they keep the whole mouth full of teeth and I think that's a little strange, tooth fairies. I keep them in my fridge. Exactly.

01:19:52 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 4:

I didn't allow the tooth fairy. When I bought my house, they, uh, Tooth Fairy left behind a bag of teeth. Really? Yeah.

01:20:00 - 01:20:02 | Speaker 7:

So I found the Tooth Fairy's stash.

01:20:03 - 01:20:07 | Speaker 6:

Oh, she didn't need them in her castle. What was wrong with your teeth? Right. She's like, here, take them back.

01:20:08 - 01:20:13 | Speaker 5:

Do you guys remember when my little brother Luke wrote the ransom note to the Tooth Fairy?

01:20:13 - 01:20:13 | Speaker 6:

No.

01:20:14 - 01:20:17 | Speaker 5:

So maybe just Smith needs to write a note next time.

01:20:17 - 01:20:18 | Speaker 6:

Well, he did write a note.

01:20:19 - 01:20:19 | Speaker 5:

Oh, he did?

01:20:19 - 01:20:24 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Well, his note was like really sweet. When Lucy loses her teeth, she writes, please pay me.

01:20:27 - 01:20:29 | Speaker 5:

It's smart. That is.

01:20:29 - 01:20:55 | Speaker 6:

He got his dollar. He's good. A dollar? A dollar. Wait, wait, wait. You're not listening to what I said. He didn't hear it. Listen. For the first tooth, it's a dollar. No, no, no, no. Listen! Second tooth, it's $2. Third tooth, it's $3. By the 20th tooth, the kid's getting $20 from the tooth fairy. I'm not losing no teafish in a house because the tooth fairy is cheap over there. The tooth fairy is very cheap over there. I don't know what type of payment system they're on there. Spike roasted me for it being too much.

01:20:55 - 01:21:10 | Speaker 4:

I roasted her because in the end, you're paying way too much. No kid should be getting handed a $30 bill when they're five years old. Like, what are you doing with all this money? And then you're also, it's putting so much pressure now for every other tooth that they lose. It's stupid. Let me tell you something.

01:21:10 - 01:21:17 | Speaker 6:

Will you read the Berenstain Bears in our house, okay? They get a quarter. So that's what he wanted was a quarter. Yeah, but inflation. He got a dollar.

01:21:17 - 01:21:20 | Speaker 4:

Berenstain Bears was written like in the 40s. Shut up.

01:21:20 - 01:21:31 | Speaker 5:

I've got to have a conversation with Smith to give him some more money. 100%. Hey, Crystal, Crystal, you had to search for the tooth as well, like Shannon and the tooth fairy.

01:21:32 - 01:21:46 | Speaker 2:

Yes, my son lost his first tooth at school, and I had a newborn at the time. So we had to go back to his school and search the floor of his classroom. It took about a half an hour. Oh, my gosh.

01:21:47 - 01:21:47 | Speaker 6:

It was fun, yeah.

01:21:48 - 01:21:54 | Speaker 2:

It was like a tragedy. We had to just hurry up and go, and it was a nightmare. But we found it.

01:21:54 - 01:21:59 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to sound very, very ignorant right now as the 27-year-old who doesn't have any kids.

01:22:00 - 01:22:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:22:00 - 01:22:03 | Speaker 5:

The Tooth Fairy cares that much about the first tooth?

01:22:03 - 01:22:13 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, that first tooth. Like, if it was a second or third or tenth tooth, it's like, okay, the Tooth Fairy, just write her a note. And you should be good to go. But she needs that first tooth.

01:22:13 - 01:22:22 | Speaker 5:

But, like, Spike, do you know, have you been able to talk to the Tooth Fairy about your daughter's first tooth that you may or may not have saved?

01:22:22 - 01:22:48 | Speaker 4:

Much like I would have saved maybe the first little clipping of hair from the first haircut. Or maybe you saved the scissors you cut the umbilical cord with. But where are all those things? In my basement, I got a little bin named Natalie and a little bin named Nicole. And it's everything from the first little storybook we read to the little knit cap they came home from the hospital wearing. Oh, I love that. And then the tooth fairy puts that first tooth in there for us to save forever.

01:22:48 - 01:22:55 | Speaker 7:

No, this isn't fair, because as a child who just received that box, you're just giving us the weirdest trash that we are forced to hold on to.

01:22:55 - 01:22:59 | Speaker 4:

Forever. At your age, as a millennial, wink, then I'm actually—

01:22:59 - 01:23:02 | Speaker 7:

I'm on the cusp of Gen Z, thank you very much.

01:23:02 - 01:23:12 | Speaker 4:

You don't want the garbage stuff now, but when you get older, you'll appreciate the nostalgia of having that, and then you bore your own children with this. Look, this was my first report card when I was eight years old.

01:23:12 - 01:23:13 | Speaker 6:

Your kid's going to be like, so? Who cares?

01:23:14 - 01:23:15 | Speaker 1:

You get all Fs.

01:23:16 - 01:23:24 | Speaker 5:

Is it Kira? Yes, Kira. Hi, Kira. Where did you find the tooth? You were searching for the tooth, right? Did you even find it?

01:23:24 - 01:23:44 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so I'm a teacher, and one day we had a student come in the office and lost her tooth in the office. So we had about five staff members on their hands and knees in the office, crawling around the floor trying to find this tooth. And our principal walks in like, what the heck is going on? We finally found the tooth after like an hour, but I was like, we were not given up.

01:23:44 - 01:23:52 | Speaker 6:

At least you knew it was in the office. I just had my house to go by. That's true. We knew where the location was. Right, right.

01:23:53 - 01:24:04 | Speaker 5:

Last one, because this is actually a fantastic tooth fairy. Kelly. Hi, good morning. Good morning. Your tooth fairy has glitter on the money?

01:24:05 - 01:24:30 | Speaker 3:

Yes. So I would always keep a bottle of spray body glitter in the house. And any time I came across $2 bills The Super he was notoriously late So I can't pat myself on the back Sometimes she didn't come until after The children went and brushed their teeth And then returned to their room But it was glitter money It was special magic money

01:24:30 - 01:24:34 | Speaker 4:

Where'd that come from the strip club or what happened You had a $2 bill

01:24:34 - 01:24:39 | Speaker 3:

Well I do have to roast you A little bit Spike I want a $30 bill

01:24:39 - 01:24:41 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I'm telling you, only the Tooth Fairy has that magic.

01:24:42 - 01:24:45 | Speaker 6:

What ATM did the 30th? I didn't even notice he said that.

01:24:45 - 01:24:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, well, that's the kind of BS money that Shannon's handing out with the Tooth Fairy because there's a lot of teeth to be paid for.

01:24:51 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 3:

I have to thank you, though, so much. I was at Jingle Ball last night because of you guys. So thank you, thank you, thank you. It was an amazing night. Oh, good.

01:25:00 - 01:25:02 | Speaker 1:

You guys did an awesome, awesome job.

01:25:02 - 01:25:03 | Speaker 3:

I hope you got a little bit more sleep than we all did.

01:25:04 - 01:25:18 | Speaker 1:

No, not at all. I always come home from a concert so wired, so I'm on a lot of caffeine right now. Good. Well, we have a lot of stories to share about the artists and everything that happened on stage, backstage, and more. If you weren't with us, make sure you check out our social media, too. There's some great videos.

01:25:18 - 01:25:48 | Speaker 2:

And did you check also? Did you see on the big screen? I don't know if everyone saw it about the Taylor Swift tickets. Big, big, big news with Taylor Swift tickets. That's at 935. So, I don't know. Maybe, Kelly, you could win those, too. Mojo. Proof that smarts only go so far. But big boobs have gotten them everywhere. This is Mojo in the Morning. Well, that might be in the canceled file that they didn't want to run anymore. I'm not too sure. I'm just kind of clicking on whatever I have.

01:25:49 - 01:25:50 | Speaker 3:

I got a little note by that one.

01:25:52 - 01:25:58 | Speaker 1:

They need to tell me what I can and can't play. They really should remove the ones that are out of circulation, right?

01:25:58 - 01:26:04 | Speaker 2:

By the way, no one here has any control.

01:26:04 - 01:26:07 | Speaker 3:

Look how ready he is. Because this is my father.

01:26:07 - 01:26:22 | Speaker 2:

Also, if you're listening right now and you're wondering what is going on right now, Mojo is out sick. Had a crazy, incredible night last night at Jingle Ball, but now he's... Truly sick. Yeah, no. He really is out. I don't think he's faking it.

01:26:22 - 01:26:45 | Speaker 1:

No. He's definitely not faking it. No, no, no. He wanted to be here so bad to talk about the Jingle Ball. Like you said this morning at the start of the show, Joe, in every other city, the morning shows take off the next day because they go out and party after with the bands and all that stuff. Not Mojo, he says. We're working the next day because we need to come back with all the stories and all the fun stuff that happened, and we're the show that comes in. Unless you get a bug. You can't do anything about that.

01:26:45 - 01:26:58 | Speaker 2:

Well, and what he really is missing out on is not necessarily talking about Jingle Ball. He's excited about that. I'm sure he is. But, Spike, I know my dad loves to give you crap.

01:26:58 - 01:26:58 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah.

01:26:58 - 01:27:02 | Speaker 2:

And you were walking around with what on your pants?

01:27:02 - 01:27:13 | Speaker 1:

Well, it was jelly, but it looked much worse than that. It's so funny because yesterday at this time, we had a little conversation about Shannon being nervous about her time of the month hitting right at the time of Jingle Ball.

01:27:13 - 01:27:21 | Speaker 3:

Which, by the way, that was my original dress. I succeeded with no accidents. Thank you very much. Thank you, Aunt Flo. Went to the bathroom every hour just to make sure.

01:27:21 - 01:28:53 | Speaker 1:

Well, I look like I hit it hard yesterday, And I look like I was bleeding from the crotch because we had our last big production meeting after the show yesterday, getting everything in order for the big show. And I forgot my breakfast. So I somebody gave me an Uncrustable from their kid's lunch. I was eating the Uncrustable and I took a bite and the whole the bottom opened up and all the grape jelly just leaked out all over my crotch, my lap. And it was all over my sleeve. And we're in the middle of this big meeting. I couldn't go anywhere. I couldn't clean myself up. So we had to sat here gracefully with jelly crotch and, uh, it was fine. I was like, you know what? I'm not embarrassed in front of our staff here. We've all seen worse. In fact, I almost took my pants. If I had another pants, I would just gotten changed right in front of you guys, but I didn't have a change of clothes, but it looked really bad. So what happened was we had our meetings for two hours here, got all our stuff done for jingle ball. We were talking about last minute logistics and we said, okay, break. It's time to go home. It's time to get dressed. Time to go to jingle ball. Well, I went and ran some errands yesterday i went to costco target speedway everything i had to do before the show totally forgot that i still had jelly crotch so i'm walking around target with looking like there's a problem going on below the waist and people are looking at me strange and i'm just like what i know i look tired we had a big show but i was i didn't realize i went through target costco all these stops With the jelly all over my lap And it just looked messy Maybe I pooped my pants I don't know what was happening

01:28:53 - 01:29:01 | Speaker 2:

Saving it for a snack It was horrible Or maybe in solidarity with Shannon And the potential of what could happen on stage Possibly At Jingle Ball

01:29:01 - 01:29:43 | Speaker 1:

So I'm going to ask listeners in solidarity To call and share with us your stories About the time you didn't know you were walking around With something on you all day Yeah I can't be the only one That walked around with something all day Because this happened to me one other time And I shared this story God, it had to be like eight years ago when Dublin was just a puppy and I took him out to do his business and I picked him up and carried him inside. And then I went out and did a station event, not realizing I had a streak of Dublin poo down my sleeve because I picked him up to get him out of the snow, brought him inside and he rubbed his little Dublin booty hole right up against my arm. But I didn't see it. I was walking around all afternoon with a brown stripe on my jacket.

01:29:44 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 2:

Do you still have that jacket? you threw that away right away throw the dog away too what 844-665-6548 that's 844 mojo live if you were walking around with your meal on you

01:30:00 - 01:30:07 | Speaker 3:

Or maybe it was your doggy doo-doo. I mean, listen, Megan, you are, like, looking right now like this has happened to you before.

01:30:07 - 01:30:10 | Speaker 4:

Oh, God, with these boobs? It's my extra shelf. It catches everything.

01:30:11 - 01:30:13 | Speaker 2:

You could always tell what you had for lunch because you're wearing it.

01:30:13 - 01:30:28 | Speaker 4:

I don't think there's ever been a day in my life where there wasn't a stain on my chest. There's perpetually just, like, those tied-to-go sticks right over here. Because I chew on the right side of my mouth so the right boob catches everything. Every once in a while you get a left boob and you're like, wow, a change-up.

01:30:28 - 01:31:08 | Speaker 3:

how refreshing mine uh has been and because you know we get to do a morning show it's it's the joe show filling in for just mojo we got everyone else from mojo in the morning here right now but florida gets so hot tampa gets so hot i've had an issue where i'm sweating through my shirts which i normally do my deodorant is going through my shirts though yeah like my white oh so there's like you stained but then it's like if it's just a pit stain it doesn't really apply this thing goes all the way to my belly button, though. Wait, you need to go to the doctor. Oh, when I sweat, it's hot. It's still like 85 degrees. It goes all the way down, and it goes right. There's a pool in my belly button.

01:31:08 - 01:31:10 | Speaker 4:

Get Botox in your armpits. Yeah, you can.

01:31:10 - 01:31:11 | Speaker 3:

What?

01:31:11 - 01:31:13 | Speaker 4:

It'll stop the sweating. Get Botox in your armpits.

01:31:13 - 01:31:15 | Speaker 2:

Don't start that rabbit hole. You can. No, you'll win.

01:31:15 - 01:31:18 | Speaker 7:

This is a real thing. I know you're looking at us like we're pranking you. It's true.

01:31:18 - 01:31:29 | Speaker 2:

It's true. It affects the pores and stops you from sweating. It also starts a slippery slope of you looking like, who's the dude from American Idol? Simon Cowell.

01:31:29 - 01:31:33 | Speaker 7:

You didn't know when to stop. There are a lot of people that get Botox that don't look like that.

01:31:34 - 01:31:40 | Speaker 3:

Hold on. Megan, Megan, you are waking up with Mojo in the morning. What were you walking around with?

01:31:41 - 01:32:31 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so I wasn't walking around with anything on me. I think it's kind of worse. I was working, and I worked 11 hours, so it's towards the end of my shift. um and i am bending over and i'm doing my job and this lady she comes up to me and she's like i'm not sure if you know this or not she's like but you have two small holes right on the butt cheek of your pants and it was my heart dropped to like my stomach i was like oh my gosh i'm so sorry i like apologized and it was just a whole thing and it was so embarrassing i wanted to leave and go home right then and there how do those holes even get there i have no idea i when i put them on i normally you know like i look at myself before i leave the house and i look and there's no holes there so i don't know how they got there but they got there yeah wow extremely inconvenient all right

01:32:31 - 01:32:37 | Speaker 3:

we uh we appreciate you thank you megan liz how old were you when you got this all over your shirt

01:32:38 - 01:32:42 | Speaker 6:

It was just a couple weeks ago. I have children. Oh, okay.

01:32:42 - 01:32:42 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

01:32:44 - 01:32:51 | Speaker 6:

It was Gogur. I opened it, and it flattered on my shirt, and I didn't notice it. And I went to work. It doesn't look good.

01:32:51 - 01:32:56 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Yeah. It does not look good. And then when you say Gogur, everybody goes, sure.

01:32:56 - 01:33:10 | Speaker 3:

Hey, so when you see someone with something on their clothing, like one time Ashley walked into work one day and her shorts were just completely inside out. I've never seen anything like that.

01:33:10 - 01:33:14 | Speaker 7:

She's your friend. You say something. He did not. I didn't say anything at all. Until the end of the day.

01:33:14 - 01:33:21 | Speaker 3:

I feel bad. And like if I saw a spike, I don't know if I can tell you because I honestly, I don't want to tell you that I'm looking at your crotch.

01:33:22 - 01:33:36 | Speaker 2:

Right, right. Well, that depends on where the stain is or like in Ashley's case, is that the latest you think, TikTok challenge? Maybe everybody's wearing their shorts inside out. Yeah. Like, I don't know. But if it's a friend, I will say something. I've told Shannon before. You're like, hey, your butt, something's sticking out or whatever.

01:33:37 - 01:33:42 | Speaker 7:

I'm notorious for keeping the sticker on the back of my jeans that says the size down the leg all the time.

01:33:42 - 01:33:47 | Speaker 2:

But the strangers out at, you know, if you're walking through Kroger, no, I'm not telling them. I'm sorry, you're on your own.

01:33:47 - 01:34:02 | Speaker 3:

You can't? Could you maybe, like, would it be offensive? Like, let's say a woman had a stain. I mean, Megan, you said that it falls down, goes right on your boobs. As a man, I can't walk up to a woman and say, hey, you've got stains on your boobs. I know everybody's staring. I don't even know.

01:34:03 - 01:34:06 | Speaker 4:

I know everybody's staring. Do me a favor. Be my friend. Tell me.

01:34:06 - 01:34:08 | Speaker 3:

By the way, you looked fantastic last night.

01:34:08 - 01:34:14 | Speaker 2:

I'd say normally my eyes are up here, but I just want to let you know. Only because of the stain I'm looking at your boobs right now.

01:34:15 - 01:34:25 | Speaker 3:

This is the morning of questions for me. What is worse? Dog doo-doo, like Spike admitted, Dublin's doo-doo on his shirt, or human doo-doo?

01:34:26 - 01:34:27 | Unknown:

No, man.

01:34:27 - 01:34:28 | Speaker 3:

What would you rather have?

01:34:29 - 01:34:35 | Speaker 2:

Is it a relative? Is it my baby's doo-doo or the guy that's sitting next to me? Yeah, there's a difference. Well, all right.

01:34:36 - 01:34:40 | Speaker 3:

Let's figure it out. Hey, Jessie, this was newborns doo-doo.

01:34:41 - 01:34:54 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I had walked through Walmart with newborn baby poo on my leg and didn't notice. Until I got home and was talking to my neighbor sitting on the front porch and just had it all down my leg and it was dry. Yeah. I know.

01:34:55 - 01:34:57 | Speaker 2:

Mama challenge, right? Every parent's been there.

01:34:58 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 5:

Yep. It won't be the last time.

01:35:00 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:35:00 - 01:35:05 | Speaker 5:

This makes me not want to have kids, though. This is good. I think my mom is listening right now going, she needs to fill her.

01:35:05 - 01:35:20 | Speaker 2:

Or do you remember, I don't know if you nursed, but, like, your milk would just come through your shirt. Huh? Oh, yeah. That is also real fun. What? Real fun. Sarah? Yeah. You know what I'm talking about, Sarah, don't you?

01:35:20 - 01:35:55 | Speaker 1:

um speaking of milk coming through your shirt uh i had stopped nursing at this point and stopped wearing those lovely little covers that are supposed to prevent this embarrassing thing from happening yeah um but i didn't know that i was walking around with like two perfect little circles uh white milky circles where it should be oh no yeah until i got home and looked in the Nobody was nice enough to tell me that I looked crazy walking around with milky surfaces.

01:35:55 - 01:36:06 | Speaker 2:

See, that, even if I don't know you, is mom code. Like, I feel like you tell another mom that that's happening. Because a lot of times you don't, there comes a point where you don't know. You might not know.

01:36:07 - 01:36:13 | Speaker 5:

So as a 27-year-old, I can't say any, because you say it's mom code, you've got to say something. I can't say anything, though?

01:36:15 - 01:36:29 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I would be, I think, a little more embarrassed. Yeah, I know you're trying to be nice, but I feel like if it came from another mom, I would receive it very differently. Joe, what would you say? Good question, Ashley.

01:36:29 - 01:36:31 | Speaker 1:

What would I say? Joe, I want to know what Joe would say.

01:36:31 - 01:36:33 | Speaker 6:

Go ahead, look in Shannon's eyes right now. What would you say to her?

01:36:33 - 01:36:34 | Speaker 5:

You got milk.

01:36:37 - 01:36:38 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Alexa. Hey, Google.

01:36:38 - 01:36:55 | Speaker 3:

This is Mojo in the Morning. Wake up with the phone scams, War of the Roses, and the Dirty on the 30 every morning. Just tell your smart device to play Channel 95.5 on iHeartRadio. And we'll see you on the show. The hell song is this?

01:36:57 - 01:37:00 | Speaker 4:

I like it. Mysterious. It's sexy.

01:37:01 - 01:37:33 | Speaker 5:

Interesting stuff here. Well, this is not Mojo, obviously. I'm not a professional. I'm just a kid. My name is Joe. I am Mojo's son, and I'm filling in for my sick dad. He went too hard at Jingle Ball. That's just kind of what happens. It's our channel, 955 Jingle Ball, presented by Capital One. He never experienced a jingle ball in his life He didn't know what it would be like And now he is Unfortunately sick But fortunately For me and Ashley and Jed We get to come in and hang out with you guys a little bit longer

01:37:33 - 01:37:41 | Speaker 4:

Before we go on our flight We'll all be sick by the weekend Because did we not literally hug 12,000 listeners And take selfies with every one of them Oh yeah

01:37:41 - 01:37:58 | Speaker 5:

And we all moved to The Joe Show did Ashley Nixon and Jed and I We moved to Florida so it's still like 85 degrees. Last night, we're cheap. We're not going to get an Uber. We walked back to the hotel, and it's raining and cold. Oh, yeah.

01:37:58 - 01:37:59 | Speaker 4:

It was cold and rainy.

01:38:00 - 01:38:15 | Speaker 5:

40 degrees hits different now. I don't know what it is, but I have become less of a human being living down south in Florida. I walked outside, took my coat off, and went, ooh, this is nice. I love this. No, you did it. Really? Beautiful.

01:38:15 - 01:38:17 | Speaker 4:

We were so sweaty backstage. It felt good. Yes.

01:38:18 - 01:38:30 | Speaker 5:

Hey, what happened, Mike, by the way, so the whole entire Jingle Ball experience is it's all recapped. It's on our website. It's on our socials. Everything. Go check it out. What happened with you and Ava Max, though?

01:38:30 - 01:39:07 | Speaker 6:

So, OK, I don't know. And you know what? Actually, I understand where she's coming from because I do this to Ava Max. Megan and I interviewed Ava Max backstage. So we're talking to her before we go to to to interview her. you know her handler walks up and he says hey um if you're gonna take pictures make sure it's only taken on her left side and i was like wait what now and he's like yeah only on the left side she only likes to get pictures on the left side so we went through videos and photos go watch her videos everything she does her face it only shows the left side of her that's 100 true there's some

01:39:07 - 01:39:42 | Speaker 4:

women and some men that have that rule they have a favorite side and they won't allow the others to show and we've had artists come in over the years that have said that about where we set up the cameras when we're doing like a live web stream and it's so funny because they all have the same move i don't know if you saw it last night the artist will never say it they have their people say it and then the artist always acts like what like surprise i didn't know that they said that the handler will say uh could you please make sure you stand over here we only want to photograph this side and then the artist but oh come on that's silly we don't care and but of course they make sure that you know meanwhile they're not moving to the other side they're gonna stay

01:39:42 - 01:40:40 | Speaker 5:

right there yeah are you like that though like i know that there are people driving because actually a first timer last night for me maybe it's a jingle ball thing but 844-665-6548-844 mojo live i'm curious what spike thinks because he is a photographer i'm interested Everyone in here thinks about that Yesterday, if you look At the pictures I posted And you can see it on every single social media So I'm not going to say At Joe Showsucks is my Instagram, that'd be silly But if you saw the way my hair was falling On the left I don't know what happened But my hair was kind of like Why are you doing that with your finger? Because it was gracing my eyebrow Was it sexy? It was so sexy It was so sexy that I sprayed so much hairspray in just so that the hair and then i moved ashley can attest to this i think anyone who took a picture with me i had to be showing the left side of my face he did yeah well also we wouldn't even

01:40:40 - 01:41:02 | Speaker 4:

let khalid be in the same picture as you because there's too much sexy if that's right in the same picture that's right i asked shannon before the show she said take a picture of me holding the iheart microphone before that because like we had literally 10 minutes for the show before chaos the rest of the night was a tornado i don't even remember what happened we were so busy when we When I first got there, Shan said, take a picture before it gets crazy. I said, all right, which side do you like? And she goes, I don't have a side. I go, what? Every woman has a side.

01:41:02 - 01:41:10 | Speaker 3:

I really don't. She's like, I don't have a side at all. I swear to God, I don't. I don't have a side. The one thing I will say is I don't like it when people take photos close up. Yeah.

01:41:10 - 01:41:11 | Speaker 4:

Well, no one does.

01:41:11 - 01:41:18 | Speaker 3:

Like selfies. I am looking like in very much the wrong direction. It looks like I have like wonky eyes.

01:41:18 - 01:41:20 | Speaker 5:

Look straight ahead at me real quick.

01:41:20 - 01:41:22 | Speaker 3:

Are you telling me what side is a good side?

01:41:22 - 01:41:24 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to do this for you right now.

01:41:24 - 01:41:25 | Speaker 3:

This is making me nervous.

01:41:25 - 01:41:27 | Speaker 4:

She has a very symmetrical face.

01:41:27 - 01:41:30 | Speaker 3:

No, I don't. I actually have one side that's droopy on my mouth.

01:41:30 - 01:41:33 | Speaker 5:

Wait, you think that that side is droopy?

01:41:33 - 01:41:34 | Speaker 3:

This side's droopy.

01:41:34 - 01:41:35 | Speaker 5:

I like the droopy side.

01:41:35 - 01:41:38 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Thank you, Joe. Thank you.

01:41:38 - 01:41:42 | Speaker 5:

I think you look so good when you droop. I really do. I really do.

01:41:42 - 01:41:48 | Speaker 4:

I tried every side. I don't have a good side. I'm still waiting for any good. My good side is when I'm behind people.

01:41:48 - 01:41:51 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, but you got tricks, though. You've told us your tricks. Spike has tricks.

01:41:52 - 01:42:22 | Speaker 4:

Always get further away from the camera and have them zoom in. it slims your face you don't want to be holding like shannon said you never want to do a selfie when listeners ask for selfies we try and pass off the camera here i always give it to my girlfriend meg will take the picture of us here because it always looks better when you're not doing a selfie but if you can get someone to stand even farther back and zoom in it slims your whole body your face everything and you watch the models getting their portraits taken by professionals are you

01:42:22 - 01:42:33 | Speaker 6:

kidding me oh my god this size zero girl looks good from afar because she's a size zero that's exactly what you're saying my ass over here is like selfies only and boobs up like that's it

01:42:33 - 01:42:39 | Speaker 4:

boobs up so your belt your best side is more vertical than horizontal my best side is under

01:42:39 - 01:42:51 | Speaker 6:

my chin above my waist and i i also lean forward in every photo so that my cleavage is showing i'm I'm like, yeah, people just look there. I have to do, yeah. People just look there.

01:42:53 - 01:43:22 | Speaker 5:

Shannon's really leaning forward. Yeah. I've been gaining a lot of weight lately recently, and now I know what to do. I'm going to start bending over. Show the cleavage. This is going to be good. Very, very, very good. All right, let's get to some callers. An 844-665-6548, 844-MOJO-LIVE. as Ava Max and apparently everyone else has a side or a pose when they're taking pictures. Hey, Marlene, what is your side? Good morning.

01:43:23 - 01:43:28 | Speaker 1:

Megan, you are absolutely beautiful. I see your pictures. You look good on any angle. Don't you worry about that. I agree.

01:43:29 - 01:43:30 | Speaker 6:

I love you, Marlene. I agree.

01:43:30 - 01:43:54 | Speaker 1:

I love you, too. Okay, this is my philosophy because I always have to be on the left. But I'm left-handed, so when you hold the phone up, you're used to turning your head because you know you can't. You've got to cock your head so it kind of hides that chin fat. So when you go to take pictures, your head don't feel like cocking the other way. So I always have to be to the left side of everybody when you take pictures.

01:43:54 - 01:44:05 | Speaker 3:

The tilt is true because I never tilt my head. In fact, it feels funky to the right. Okay? It's like tight. Like I need a massage right here. But to the left, it's comfortable.

01:44:05 - 01:44:12 | Speaker 5:

Anyone else picking up on the trend that there's no one with a right side? Mm-mm. Do we not take pictures together? Mine's on my right side. Oh, it is? Yeah.

01:44:13 - 01:44:18 | Speaker 1:

You can take pictures together, but you have to be on the left side so you can cast your head to the right.

01:44:19 - 01:44:23 | Speaker 5:

You both are going to have to be posing like prom pictures if we all want the same side.

01:44:23 - 01:44:27 | Speaker 3:

Or like the awkward 1980s family photos where everybody's in a line.

01:44:27 - 01:44:35 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. Right? Hey, Dakota has a reason why she always has to pick a side, and that's because of a piercing. Isn't that right, Dakota?

01:44:37 - 01:44:48 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. So, like, a lot of women favor one side for the sole purpose of their nose piercing. They feel like that's their better side now. But with me, I just solved that problem and got both sides pierced. So I always have a favorite side.

01:44:49 - 01:44:53 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I like that. That's smart. That's very smart. That's very smart.

01:44:53 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 2:

I mean. Go ahead, Dakota. Why pick a favorite? Like, every woman is beautiful inside of.

01:45:00 - 01:45:04 | Speaker 1:

out just show it off who cares what people think yeah i'm more here for an excuse to get another

01:45:04 - 01:45:29 | Speaker 4:

piercing any excuse i'm in i have a left nipple piercing so that's why it's my left side now i realized it do you what yeah you guys didn't know that i got that in florida no you did not yeah i did let me see your nipple get out of here are you serious you didn't know that why just one i just won because it's my side what do you mean the other one no i don't need to get my nipple my dad would kick my butt. I wouldn't be filling in for him right now. I'd be filling up

01:45:29 - 01:45:31 | Speaker 1:

my grave. There's nothing wrong with nipple

01:45:31 - 01:45:41 | Speaker 4:

piercing. No, there is nothing wrong. But I'm looking forward to talking to Kyle because, Kyle, you have a very interesting reason why you have to pick your side.

01:45:42 - 01:45:51 | Speaker 1:

Yes, and I will die on the hill that everybody should respect when somebody has a side they take pictures on. Also, I love your guys' show. I listen every morning. Thank you so much.

01:45:51 - 01:45:52 | Speaker 4:

Thank you. I'm a part of it.

01:45:53 - 01:46:23 | Speaker 1:

Bye. But my reason is because when I was growing up, I had a snaggle tooth on my left side, like a hard snaggle tooth. Okay. And then I got, like, kind of a floater left eye, so I always take pictures to my right. And my best friend's wedding, I was the maid of honor, and I, like, told the picot. And so I would always cover the snaggle tooth by keeping my mouth down on that side, which if you look from the front, it kind of looks like I have a stroke. And it's just been a really hard habit to kick.

01:46:23 - 01:46:27 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh, yeah. So your best side is from behind that bush over there.

01:46:28 - 01:46:29 | Speaker 1:

That's right.

01:46:29 - 01:47:02 | Speaker 2:

Some people, listen, we're all very self-aware. There's something on our face that bothers us, everybody. And you start to overcompensate trying to hide it, and you end up making goofier faces. I do that because I have a double chin, and Mojo always makes fun of me. Because the photographer trick, they tell you, stick your forehead out towards the camera, and it stretches out your chin. But it works. When you're looking straight at the camera, they don't realize you're sticking your face out. It just tightens up the neck But now I do it all the time And I'm so not aware of it When people are asking for pictures They all look at me goofy like What's going on with that guy over there

01:47:02 - 01:47:09 | Speaker 3:

Well see and I've heard you say those tricks Like a million times So I try to do them But I end up just standing over Hunched over Like trying to take a picture

01:47:09 - 01:47:33 | Speaker 4:

It's not working I call the cops on us Oh my god Alright well listen I was about to say There's going to be a lot of snaggletoos At Morgan Wallen But I'm not going to do that You can't say that You can't say that. I'm not going to fill in for my dad and ruin my reputation like that. Morgan Wallen concerts are filled with amazing-looking people with snaggletooth. Can we give that away right now?

01:47:34 - 01:47:34 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:47:34 - 01:47:35 | Speaker 4:

Because it is nine.

01:47:35 - 01:47:45 | Speaker 2:

Let's do it. Is that fine? Yeah, because we have a packed 9 o'clock hour. We're going to do the Breaking Enter and Christmas Wish. We've got a phone scam. We've got so much more to get to, so it's probably better to just unload those tickets now.

01:47:45 - 01:48:12 | Speaker 4:

There's a lot going on. Yeah. All right. Let's do that right now. Uh, 844-665-6548. That is 844-665-6548. I could see her being at next year's Channel 955 Jingle Ball presented by Capital One. I mean, that would be a ton of fun. Last night was absolute insanity, wasn't it, Spike?

01:48:12 - 01:48:39 | Speaker 2:

We have so many more stories to tell you about the Jingle Ball last night. But you're right. There were people we had to turn down. There was other people who wanted to do it. And we're trying to do the whole logistics of making sure we had a good variety of acts. I wouldn't be surprised. Some of the people that we had to put off that might be there next year, we're already talking about it. It's crazy. We can't book it too early because we don't know what the biggest artists are going to be a year from now. But I just know the biggest audience sold out that they said, our company said, we want to do Detroit again next year.

01:48:39 - 01:48:48 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah. It was a packed stadium too, which I don't know. It was the first Jingle Ball. We ignored that, by the way, the one with Flo Rida and stuff like that.

01:48:49 - 01:48:49 | Speaker 2:

Which ones?

01:48:50 - 01:48:57 | Speaker 4:

Remember when Flo Rida? I remember being at that concert and seeing you guys. Did we not mention that? Years ago. I thought that was called Jingle Ball.

01:48:58 - 01:49:13 | Speaker 2:

We did it years ago. We did a Mojo Jingle Ball by ourselves. And that was, gosh, 10 years ago. That was pretty cool. Flo Rida was a smaller place. It was fun. But also we kind of laugh at what happened to some of the opening acts.

01:49:13 - 01:49:18 | Speaker 4:

It was Flo Rida and then the guy who grabbed my car this morning at the Hilton.

01:49:18 - 01:49:24 | Speaker 1:

I will say, it gave me a new respect for the artist Because standing up on that stage was scary It was so scary

01:49:24 - 01:49:29 | Speaker 2:

It was scarier, the stories that are still filtering in About what happened in Jed's hotel room

01:49:29 - 01:49:42 | Speaker 4:

We need to get into that Breaking and entering, obviously Real quick though, Morgan Wallen We're going to get a winner right now for Morgan Wallen Jillian? Hey Jillian?

01:49:43 - 01:49:44 | Unknown:

Hi

01:49:44 - 01:49:52 | Speaker 4:

You lost, thank you for calling in though I appreciate you No, wait, no, Jillian, you are the winner. Fake out!

01:49:55 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 2:

Man, this tour is not even, I mean, Morgan Wallen, One Night at a Time World Tours.

01:50:00 - 01:50:30 | Speaker 4:

June 30th, Ford Field, and I haven't heard any stories yet about the tickets because it's not on sale for two more days. So I'm waiting to see, does this tour get handled like Taylor Swift? Did they smooth things out and figure it out? Because this is another big tour. We're going to find out if there's still a little snaggle with the tickets or did they get it all figured out? I'm not playing up Morgan Wallen. He ain't going to have as many tickets as Taylor Swift. I'm not going to do it, Spike. I'm not going to do it. I don't know. He's very popular. I don't know. I'm not going to do it. but Ashley, you going to Morgan Wallet?

01:50:32 - 01:50:33 | Speaker 1:

Absolutely not.

01:50:34 - 01:50:46 | Speaker 2:

WKQ, IFM, HD3 Detroit. WSNX, Muskegon, Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning. Oh, Mojo, he's amazing. Live.

01:50:47 - 01:51:02 | Speaker 4:

All right, Spike, yeah. Yeah, this is it. I can't believe we're all still here and alive after the jingle ball last night, but we have very important business to get to. We have a breaking and entering Christmas wish. And let's go live to Mike first and check in. Mike, everybody in place out there?

01:51:03 - 01:51:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, we got the whole Red Robin crew here. We are ready to go.

01:51:07 - 01:51:37 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, thank you so much, by the way, to Red Robin, who not only made a huge donation of $30,000 this Christmas to help us with our wishes, but if you visit any Metro Detroit Red Robin tomorrow, they're going to donate 20% of the proceeds to Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish. They continue the giving all season. It's insane. So thank you to those guys. And they came out to help us deliver today because we have a very special family. Mike, are you with Mackenzie?

01:51:39 - 01:51:44 | Speaker 3:

No, I'm with the mother-in-law, Dina. Mother Dina. Mother Dina.

01:51:44 - 01:51:48 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I got to speak to Dina when I was doing the Christmas shopping for this family. Hi, Dina.

01:51:48 - 01:51:50 | Speaker 3:

She said you called her diner.

01:51:50 - 01:52:19 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, there was a typo on my list. I was struggling to meet everybody for the first time as I was getting more details about this family and getting to learn a little bit about them. So this is a little differently. We have a letter here that was sent to us by a neighbor, and Shannon is going to read that letter, and then we're going to surprise the family here with Breaking Under Christmas Wish. And by the way, you can watch this. Is it Facebook Live, Megan? You can watch this Wish Unfold Live on the Mojo in the Morning Facebook.

01:52:19 - 01:52:22 | Speaker 1:

Okay, we've got to get LaTasha on the phone first. Do we have her, KP? Yeah.

01:52:22 - 01:52:48 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. As soon as she gets that line ringing, so you could pick that up there. Oh, we might have lost it. We'll get her back again. It's okay. This happens every break and end and Christmas wish because the element of surprise is the most important, and it's live radio, and we can't call them ahead of time or let them know that we're going to call, so KP is dialing mom again.

01:52:48 - 01:52:49 | Speaker 1:

Okay, here we go.

01:52:49 - 01:52:50 | Speaker 4:

There you go.

01:52:50 - 01:52:50 | Speaker 1:

You can put it up, Joe.

01:52:51 - 01:52:52 | Unknown:

Hello?

01:52:52 - 01:53:22 | Speaker 4:

Hi, LaTosha. Who is this? This is the Mojo on the Morning Show. My name is Spike, and along with Mojo, Shannon, and the entire crew here, we're on the radio, and we got an important letter about you. And do you have a second we can talk to you about it? Yeah. Okay. We got a great letter from a woman named Mackenzie, one of your neighbors. And she wrote us talking about how your family is in need and we need to help. Can we read that letter to you?

01:53:23 - 01:53:23 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:53:24 - 01:53:25 | Speaker 4:

Here you go.

01:53:26 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 1:

Dear Mojo in the Morning, My name is Mackenzie, and I'd like to nominate my neighbors, LaTosha and Devin, for Breaking and Entering Christmas. LaTosha and Devin are parents of two small children, soon to be three children, in May. LaTosha works more than 85 hours a week trying to support their family. They can't afford to have anybody watch the kids, so Devin stays at home with little Chase and Addie. Recently, LaTosha suffered a bad injury at work, which means the family is currently living off of $400 a week from her workman's comp. Their rent takes up the majority of the monthly income. There's no room for anything else. No clothes. They can barely afford food. And anything for their sweet kids for Christmas is completely out of the question. They are behind on most of their bills, and I fear that they are going to end up losing their home any day now. They've also started pawning some of their belongings to pay bills and make sure the kids are fed. To make matters worse, they recently had a leak in their bedroom, so the entire family is sleeping in the living room with no beds. Tasha also recently got into a car accident and now the only vehicle this family has is on its last leg. This mom and dad would do anything for these kids and it breaks my heart that I know they're struggling so badly, but they're too proud to ask for help. They act like everything's okay, so they don't worry the kids. Please, Mojo, please help this family have a Christmas this year. They truly deserve it. Sincerely,

01:55:00 - 01:55:17 | Speaker 5:

mackenzie you have amazing neighbors but they all tell us the same thing that you're amazing latasha and you've been doing so much from what i understand working more than 85 hours a week

01:55:17 - 01:55:30 | Speaker 4:

to support your family uh yeah well right now actually i'm not working at all because of the work injury but prior to that yeah i was working like facing tragedies like a house fire and even

01:55:30 - 01:55:59 | Speaker 5:

covid has really set back a lot of families but the one thing mojo was really focused on this year was making sure that we don't lose sight of so many families that just get lost in the bills and with the finances and how the economy is going right now and how many people are struggling with inflation and something so simple as an injury at work that can keep you Getting those hours can really put you behind in keeping the roof over your head.

01:55:59 - 01:56:00 | Speaker 1:

And putting food on the table.

01:56:00 - 01:56:10 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. And as we understand it with your injury at work, you can't really care for a four-year-old and a two-year-old running around. And so that's...

01:56:10 - 01:56:12 | Speaker 1:

And you've got a baby in your tummy.

01:56:12 - 01:56:24 | Speaker 5:

And a baby in your tummy. But that's where Devin comes in. So he's got to help take care of the kids while you guys try to get back on your feet here. And that's where it's easy to get lost. And we don't want you to get lost, Latasha. and that's why we're calling you this morning.

01:56:25 - 01:56:40 | Speaker 1:

So, I need you to do me a favor, okay? Okay. Can you walk over to your front door? Because there are some people that are on the other side of that door that are waiting for you.

01:56:50 - 01:56:52 | Speaker 5:

We're breaking and entering right now.

01:56:54 - 01:56:54 | Unknown:

Beautiful.

01:56:56 - 01:56:57 | Speaker 1:

There they are.

01:56:58 - 01:57:03 | Speaker 2:

Merry Christmas! Hello, hi, little ones.

01:57:03 - 01:57:21 | Speaker 1:

LaTosha, that is Mike from the Mojo in the Morning Show, and he's got some of your family members and some of your friends, and we, oh, by the way, and dozens and dozens and dozens of gifts that they're going to be bringing in, and we are bringing some Christmas magic into your home and to your family this year.

01:57:23 - 01:57:40 | Speaker 2:

We heard that you guys could use a good Christmas this year, and maybe even just a little bit of a break. So I don't know if you see all these gifts we have lying by your door right now, but is it all right if we bring these in here?

01:57:41 - 01:57:41 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:57:41 - 01:57:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah?

01:57:42 - 01:58:03 | Speaker 3:

Yeah? Who's this little guy right here? Jace, how are you? Good. What's your favorite toy in the whole wide world? a remote control car well guess what we got to a remote control car in that bag you want to open it up yeah you do all right let's bring some presents in

01:58:03 - 01:58:21 | Speaker 1:

letasha yeah with everything going on and you're working so much and you're so focused on just staying in your home and you know making ends meet so that your kids are fed I mean

01:58:21 - 01:58:40 | Speaker 4:

was Christmas even going to happen this year uh sort of not really um more or less from his grandparents we were able to scavenge a few things for them yeah and we spoke to

01:58:40 - 01:59:10 | Speaker 5:

your mom and to Devin's mom and they had such a care for making sure that the kids can get a Christmas but obviously even that is a struggle because at the same time they see the leak and the damage done to the house and they want to make sure that your bills are paid and the house is fixed and it's that balance of what comes first and what's most important and sadly the Christmas gifts are usually not the priority. So we want to take care of that for you this morning. So we have

Thank you so much. Also, make sure... I was going to say, Mike, you've got something else for her, right? Yeah.

02:00:17 - 02:00:24 | Speaker 6:

Do we know if we got a boy or a girl on the way? A boy. Do we have a name yet?

02:00:24 - 02:00:25 | Speaker 3:

Cameron. Cameron.

02:00:25 - 02:00:42 | Speaker 6:

So Mike has a check for you for $2,500 to make sure those bills are paid.

02:01:18 - 02:01:46 | Speaker 7:

can we talk to Devin for a second

02:01:46 - 02:01:52 | Speaker 2:

It's kind of overwhelming

02:01:52 - 02:02:03 | Speaker 4:

When all of these people You don't know Are bringing gifts into your home I know, I know But Latasha and Devin Can you guys describe the look On your kids' faces As this is all happening?

02:02:13 - 02:02:17 | Speaker 2:

I'm not hearing Devin On the phone there if you can get him a little closer. There you are. Are you there, Devin?

02:02:18 - 02:02:18 | Unknown:

Yep.

02:02:19 - 02:02:33 | Speaker 2:

Your mom was telling us what an amazing dad you are. And the same with LaTosha. Can you talk to us about LaTosha and how before the injury, how many hours she was putting in to make sure that the family was supported?

02:02:34 - 02:02:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, she was just picking up every shift, working as much as she could, just trying to progress further. and I'm speechless.

02:02:48 - 02:03:11 | Speaker 2:

That's a good thing. We like to make people speechless with breaking and entering Christmas wish. How about you don't do the talking, we do the partying, we're going to play some Christmas music and let all the elves bring in the toys and the gifts and take care of this family for Christmas. It was so nice to meet you and thank you for letting us in your home, Devin and Latasha. Appreciate it. Mike, you want to start the party? Absolutely. All right, everybody,

02:03:11 - 02:03:27 | Speaker 5:

Brad, Rob, and the whole crew that are here right now. If you don't mind, I know it's super early, but can I get the loudest Merry Christmas? Chase, I see you opening that remote-controlled car. Can you give me a loud Merry Christmas? Merry Christmas! It's Mojo in the Morning.

02:03:29 - 02:03:29 | Speaker 6:

Sweet.

02:03:30 - 02:03:33 | Speaker 1:

Five lies to tell your mom. Kayla.

02:03:33 - 02:03:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, this is?

02:03:35 - 02:03:46 | Speaker 1:

You ready for five lies to tell your mom? Yeah. We are going to call your mom up, and we are going to ruin her dreams of that wonderful wedding that you are going to be having.

02:03:47 - 02:03:48 | Speaker 7:

She's going to be mad.

02:03:49 - 02:03:59 | Speaker 1:

What kind of mom do you have? Do you have the sweet mom that you see on those sitcoms, or do you have the mom that gets crazy and, you know, will throw down a couple F-bombs?

02:04:00 - 02:04:02 | Speaker 7:

She'll throw down a couple F-bombs for sure.

02:04:03 - 02:04:14 | Speaker 1:

All right. Well, let's do it. We're going to call her up. Five lies tell your mom. Lie number one that we are going to have you tell. You're going to say, Mom, I need to move back in with you. Okay. Lie number two.

02:04:14 - 02:04:18 | Speaker 4:

Say, my fiance, Josh, wants to call off the wedding. Okay.

02:04:19 - 02:04:22 | Speaker 2:

Lie number three. I cheated on him with one of my friends.

02:04:23 - 02:04:24 | Unknown:

Oh, man.

02:04:24 - 02:04:38 | Speaker 1:

Lie number four. I did it to get back at him for cheating on me. Okay. And lie number five. Now he wants to kick me out of the house. We're going to call your mom up, and we're going to see what she's going to do.

02:04:38 - 02:04:38 | Speaker 7:

All right.

02:04:39 - 02:05:01 | Speaker 3:

hello hey mom hey why are you coming up restricted uh well i broke my phone and so i'm using my neighbors Okay, well, you

02:05:00 - 02:06:50 | Speaker 1:

there and told me how you couldn't afford your phone bill and now this well yeah because something happened and i'm like freaking out a little bit well okay well i have to move back in with you now you know the rules on this right i have to because josh is kicking me out how is he gonna kick you out of your damn house well he's calling off the wedding he's breaking up with me. He doesn't want to be with me anymore because I messed it all up. How did you mess it up? Because I cheated on him for cheating on me. Kayla Marie, I raised you better than this. I just, everything going on, I've been super angry and the chance came up and I took it. Kayla, excuses are like, we've all got one. And that one is a big thank you one. Now, come on. But you know all the stuff that's been going on. Yeah, I know all the stuff, and it doesn't make it excusable. I don't know. I don't know what you want me to say. I don't know what you're going to do. I don't either. I mean, I have to move back in with you. I don't have anywhere else to go. No, I could be a horrible mom and tell you to figure it out when you grow up. you know better i raise you better you are an adult now i just i didn't know like i didn't expect him to find out i guess so do i know this person or is it just some random piece it was sean are you kidding me no hi mom hi sean how are you I'm fine.

02:06:51 - 02:06:55 | Speaker 3:

I just wanted to jump on here because I know you guys were talking about me.

02:06:56 - 02:07:13 | Speaker 1:

John, this isn't okay. By any means. I thought you were better than that. You know I've walked you into our family. And you do this. I thought you'd be even a little bit happy that I was saying instead of just someone like random.

02:07:13 - 02:07:14 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, Mom.

02:07:15 - 02:07:17 | Speaker 1:

You don't know what the f*** you're talking about, John.

02:07:18 - 02:07:22 | Speaker 3:

Kayla, why don't you tell your mom the last bit of information that you haven't told her yet?

02:07:24 - 02:07:56 | Speaker 1:

You better not tell me your birth control failed. No, my birth control didn't fail. This is the five lives you tell your mom. I listen to you guys every morning. How could I not know that? Doesn't Sean sound a whole lot like Mojo? Oh, my God, Mojo, you are now on my crap list. Now you're going to watch him. I'm crying. I'm at work. I'm crying. And, yeah.

02:07:57 - 02:08:06 | Speaker 3:

Mom, we are going to give you a prize for being on the air with us. We're going to give you a limo, and we're going to take you out to a really nice place to go have dinner.

02:08:07 - 02:08:30 | Speaker 1:

That's awesome. Yeah. I guess I can like you guys again. She could definitely use it. Oh, people just don't even understand. You guys are my sanity in the morning. I listen to you guys from 6.30 until 8 o'clock, and then I get my guys ready to go for the day, and then my one gentleman cracks up laughing at you guys every morning.

02:08:30 - 02:08:32 | Speaker 3:

Oh, man. What's his name? What's that guy's name?

02:08:32 - 02:08:37 | Speaker 1:

Well, I can't say his name because it's a HIPAA thing, but his name's Vincent. I can't say that much.

02:08:37 - 02:08:41 | Speaker 3:

Well, listen, we appreciate that. That's very nice of you to be listening to us. Thank you so much.

02:08:41 - 02:08:45 | Speaker 1:

You guys are amazing in the morning Thank you guys

02:08:45 - 02:08:51 | Speaker 3:

Next time Kayla does some crap like this And it's actually real Turn us on so we can make you laugh

02:08:51 - 02:08:55 | Speaker 1:

I'll have to It's mojo in the morning

02:08:55 - 02:09:00 | Speaker 3:

Five lies to tell your mom

02:09:00 - 02:09:29 | Speaker 2:

You know I've never done a five lies To tell your mom And I've always thought that that would be a ton of fun But my mom said she would divorce my dad If it ever happened So I don't know maybe one day it will happen But hi, I am Mojo's son. I'm Joe. You hear me in the afternoon on The Joe Show. Filling in for my dad because he's a little under the weather after Jingle Ball. And we've got to recap everything that happened at Jingle Ball yesterday. The big announcement, too, while we were at the concert was the fact that Mojo in the Morning has Taylor Swift tickets.

02:09:29 - 02:09:30 | Speaker 3:

Yes, we do.

02:09:30 - 02:10:29 | Speaker 2:

Which is very exciting stuff. So I think that we need to do a couple of things. Taylor Swift, maybe recap the fact that KP and Jed the producer of Mojo and the producer of Joe, they've been making out in the other room. I've got a clear look and to see. I haven't seen them since I've been here this morning. Yeah, no they've literally, like, I've seen them. A couple packs and everything. We'll see if they can defend themselves and then maybe they'll continue to just lie about it. You're gonna kill me. And Taylor Swift tickets Thank you.

02:10:00 - 02:10:43 | Speaker 4:

too listen they're like discussing sean and how good he looked shannon what i'm wondering is what's going on in the world what's going on in detroit taylor swift well fine i forgot all right taylor swift you want to go see taylor swift now is the time to win go ahead to get out your phone and text SWIFT, SWIFT, SWIFT, S-W-I-F-T, the 95500, standard data message rates do apply in the contest, standard data message rates do apply in the contest. Good luck.

02:10:45 - 02:11:38 | Speaker 1:

So Taylor Swift, BTS, Lizzo, Selena Gomez, Elizabeth Olsen, the list goes on, won multiple awards at last night's people's choice awards hosted by keenan thompson taylor taking home three of the biggest awards top female artist of 2022 top music video for anti-hero and the album of 2022 with midnights also taking home trophies last night top gun maverick stranger things becky g carrie underwood beating out both luke combs and morgan wallen for the country artist of 2022 to Lizzo taking home Song of the Year for It's About Dan Time. And I thought it was funny because she actually decided to sing her acceptance speech instead of just talking it. Ryan Reynolds receiving the third previously announced special award, the People's Icon Award, and Shania Twain winning the Music Icon Award.

02:11:40 - 02:11:50 | Speaker 2:

I always miss my mother right now at these moments in my life. She would have, you know, loved watching her little girl living this moment right now.

02:11:51 - 02:11:59 | Speaker 1:

Reese Witherspoon's Apple TV Plus series, The Morning Show. Has anybody on this show watched that? Yeah. You watched it, too. Okay. Is it worth it?

02:11:59 - 02:12:01 | Speaker 4:

The first season. Okay.

02:12:02 - 02:12:03 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, the second season is.

02:12:03 - 02:12:05 | Speaker 4:

That means it's a no, by the way. No, it's not worth it.

02:12:05 - 02:12:11 | Speaker 1:

No, the first season is legitimately. It's all about, I mean, it's based off of what happened with Matt Lauer, right?

02:12:11 - 02:12:15 | Speaker 3:

It should have been a one season show. Yeah. I was just going to say the same thing. I love the first.

02:12:15 - 02:12:46 | Speaker 1:

Steve Carell, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon. And so somebody, I love when people do this, when like real life mimics what happened on a TV show. And we're seeing this now on Good Morning America with what's going on with TJ Holmes and Amy Robach, right? Well, a couple of months ago, Reese Witherspoon did an interview about the morning show with Amy Robach, okay? And so somebody just remembered that And went back and pulled this clip from it. Listen to this. Do you guys like the show? Of course we do.

02:12:46 - 02:12:51 | Speaker 4:

Addicted. Yes. You have no idea. The water cooler conversation. Really? Yes, they are.

02:12:51 - 02:13:03 | Speaker 1:

Does it hit home a little bit? Well, we can give you a few more plot lines. Whoa. Yeah, I bet you could. Isn't that funny? I mean, who remembers that, by the way, to go back and do it?

02:13:03 - 02:13:10 | Speaker 4:

I love when people, that's always, that's why we need Twitter. Because only people like that, that happened on Twitter, I bet. They pulled that out.

02:13:11 - 02:14:05 | Speaker 1:

Former President Donald Trump's company, the Trump Organization, was convicted of tax fraud and a bunch of other financial crimes yesterday in a case brought about by the Manhattan District Attorney. Trump's real estate organization was convicted on all 17 counts on the second day of deliberation following the trial, where the Trump Organization was accused of being complicit in a scheme by some top execs to avoid paying their personal income taxes on all sorts of job perks like rent-free apartments and luxury cars and jets. the Trump organization could face up to a maximum of $1.62 million in fines. Important to note, the former president was not a target of this investigation. Mariah Carey's team had to jump to her aid when she was on stage at an event in New York City yesterday. One of her dress straps broke mid-performance, okay? She was about to flash everybody, so two of her assistants had to jump on stage to help her out.

02:14:05 - 02:14:34 | Speaker 3:

This part broke. It came untethered, I should say. It was very, very close to being a full-on scandal, but we made it work. But we got it back, and everybody was super professional. Yeah, so I just had to make up a little song about, like, we're making dresses. No, no, you don't have to do that. I don't know what it is. But, like, you know, it was just a freestyle moment. It is what it was. It's nothing great, but let me say this. We made it.

02:14:34 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 1:

We made it. And speaking of singing, I have to do this story again because I loved it. So Camila Cabello went viral last year because of the way that she pronounced the word Christmas during her PBS performance of I'll Be Home for Christmas at the White House. I won't be home for Christmas. Christmas. You know what? I still love it.

02:15:00 - 02:15:02 | Speaker 2:

Back when singing in cursive was popular.

02:15:02 - 02:15:04 | Speaker 1:

I feel like that's what she's trying to do.

02:15:04 - 02:15:10 | Speaker 2:

Well, somebody was talking to her about it yesterday, and she's like, I can't even defend it. I don't even know what I was doing.

02:15:11 - 02:15:32 | Speaker 1:

I think I'm just singing it with feeling. Like, of course, I'm not singing, like, Christmas. You don't sing like that. Like, you sing, like, you know what I mean? Oh, God, I did it again. I don't know. I'm trying to learn from the mistake, but it's hard for me to accept that it is one in this case, because I don't super hear that it's wrong. I'm just going to be totally honest.

02:15:33 - 02:15:33 | Speaker 2:

Chris Moise.

02:15:34 - 02:15:34 | Unknown:

Chris Moise.

02:15:34 - 02:15:37 | Speaker 1:

I'll be home for Christmas.

02:15:39 - 02:15:44 | Speaker 2:

Why is it so funny? I don't know. All right, for all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on mojointhemorning.com.

02:15:44 - 02:15:45 | Speaker 3:

Thank you, Shannon.

02:15:46 - 02:15:46 | Speaker 2:

You're so welcome, Joe.

02:15:47 - 02:15:52 | Speaker 3:

Normally, this is where we end the outro, but there's no outro on the log. Okay. And I'm afraid.

02:15:53 - 02:15:54 | Speaker 4:

Shannon's Dirty on the 30s.

02:15:54 - 02:16:07 | Speaker 3:

Because I know that we got phone scams coming up. That's at 950. This one says it. So is this the one right? Yep. I'm just afraid. I've actually been texting with Katie, who has been helping me out, because she heard when I played the problematic sweeper.

02:16:07 - 02:16:08 | Speaker 4:

Ah, ah.

02:16:08 - 02:16:10 | Speaker 3:

But she didn't tell me. Here, let's see if this works. Katie's our secret.

02:16:11 - 02:16:26 | Speaker 4:

Get the stories you'll talk about all day on Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. And another phone scam in minutes. Nice. That's good. That's the way it's done. We can clean that up and make it sound like you meant to do it like 30 seconds ago.

02:16:26 - 02:16:26 | Speaker 3:

Well.

02:16:27 - 02:16:29 | Speaker 4:

Because this is just a rehearsal. So nobody's listening right now.

02:16:30 - 02:16:39 | Speaker 3:

No, you're not. Oh, this has been so much fun. People are wondering what's going on right now, too. My name is Joe. I'm not Mojo. I'm used to.

02:16:39 - 02:16:40 | Speaker 2:

Ish, you're having.

02:16:41 - 02:16:48 | Speaker 3:

I was like, thank you. I was trying to think of a way to say it where it wouldn't have been wrong. Can't you say that?

02:16:49 - 02:16:50 | Speaker 4:

Do whatever you want.

02:16:50 - 02:17:02 | Speaker 3:

Balls. I don't know. But filling in because Mojo's a little under the weather from one of the, No, I'd say the greatest concert of all time. Some people say it.

02:17:02 - 02:17:04 | Speaker 4:

We don't want to say it, but some people would say it was the greatest concert of all time.

02:17:05 - 02:17:08 | Speaker 3:

That's all I kept. You know what? You're so right, because I don't want to say it.

02:17:08 - 02:17:14 | Speaker 4:

No, we're very modest. I think everybody does good concerts, but a lot of people said to us it is the greatest concert of all time.

02:17:14 - 02:17:18 | Speaker 3:

We can't even look at our text line this morning because it's just filled up with I love Jingle Ball.

02:17:18 - 02:17:56 | Speaker 4:

Well, they're also asking for so many updates because obviously so much happened last night. Aside from the fact we had some of the greatest acts on stage, Backstreet Boys was amazing. Macklemore burned the house down. Khalid was great. And, of course, Kid Leroy, one of the favorites that people were buying tickets for. And there were so many others. But it was really backstage. First of all, thanks to all you a-holes who didn't tell me that there was a prank and I wore an ugly Christmas sweater. What? It wasn't until 10 minutes before showtime when we were walking to the stage and I'm like, guys, where's your sweater? We had to change. We're on stage in 10 minutes. And that's at the point where I realized I was the only one wearing obnoxious clothes.

02:17:56 - 02:18:02 | Speaker 2:

Well, we almost had you, too, because we all came in with bags. Yeah. So it did look like we all had a change of clothes.

02:18:02 - 02:18:05 | Speaker 4:

Right, because I didn't wear it into the venue. I brought it with me and changed it.

02:18:05 - 02:18:08 | Speaker 3:

Well, Spike had three clothing changes. Three alpha changes, yes.

02:18:08 - 02:18:33 | Speaker 4:

Thank God, because I was sweaty. We were running up and down. We met so many listeners, and I apologize to all of you if we were hugging you and we were sweaty. But we were trying to cover the entire arena all night long. So whenever we didn't have an interview backstage, whenever we weren't doing an intro on stage, we were out in the concourse doing selfies with listeners. We were sneaking up to the very last row all the way up in section 220 and taking the people from the last row and moving them down to the front row.

02:18:33 - 02:18:50 | Speaker 3:

That doesn't happen at any other concert. These are the things that make Jingle Ball so special. And the fact that both producers of the morning show, the Mojo in the Morning and the afternoon show, the Joe show. I'm not giving it up, Shannon. It's the only thing that I can see. They're whispering to each other like they're in class right now. It's ridiculous.

02:18:51 - 02:19:04 | Speaker 4:

At this time yesterday, you probably heard a little slight flirtation on the air between producer Jed of The Joe Show and KP, our own Mojo in the Morning producer. Well, let's update everybody on the transgressions of the last 24 hours.

02:19:05 - 02:19:12 | Speaker 3:

Good. I like that. We've got a lot to get to. And Shannon, can we get some traffic first? You can. I don't know. How else do I transition into traffic?

02:19:12 - 02:19:18 | Speaker 4:

You do not want to leave the radio during this break because we just noticed something key about our producers.

02:19:19 - 02:19:22 | Speaker 3:

Hmm. Right after traffic. Can we get to the traffic?

02:19:22 - 02:19:23 | Speaker 2:

We did.

02:19:24 - 02:20:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Shannon already forgot. No, I remember that. We all had this planned. I'm so tired, you guys. Channel 955. And iHeart Radio Station. And home of Mojo in the morning. But truthfully, I'm very afraid of sweepers. And you can listen to the podcast to find out why that is the case. We don't have to reinstate that. Who is talking right now? Why is Mojo gone? He's actually under the board. I've kidnapped him. I've tied him up, and we're taking over. No, so Mojo is sick. My name is Joe, and I'm actually Mojo's son. I do the afternoon show on Channel 955 here with Ashley Nixon, producer Jed. They're in the studio, too. We're doing it.

02:20:00 - 02:20:34 | Speaker 2:

crossover right now with spike shannon and magan and mike you saved us because we're all operating on 25 energy brain and voice right now after the great jingle ball we had nobody is full scale ready to rock so having you guys in is actually given so fine oh my gosh you've re-energized us to tell everybody about everything that happened last night at jingle ball and keep the show rolling yeah the one last thing we didn't address that we just teased right before the commercial break was of course the budding romance a romance but there's some action there's something going on I think it's romance between our producers of the two shows we did some

02:20:34 - 02:21:01 | Speaker 3:

investigative reporting with this too now I I was gonna say I'm excited about that I get to be here because I get to watch you do phone scans which is pretty amazing so we'll do the phone scan after this you're all right with that yeah let's do it do we want to call them in how do you want to do this because they have been enclosed in that area does that room smell like you ever have you ever baked cookies in a car before and then it kind of smelled like the funk has that ever happened That was in my Honda Civic when I had a Honda Civic. I'm not even getting it.

02:21:01 - 02:21:02 | Speaker 1:

It actually smells like Jed's farts in here.

02:21:02 - 02:21:06 | Speaker 3:

Oh, wow. So wait, are you guys in love if he's already doing that?

02:21:06 - 02:21:09 | Speaker 1:

Jed literally farted into my face. Oh, no. Last night?

02:21:09 - 02:21:13 | Speaker 3:

Last night, yeah, exactly. Thank you, Megan. Thank you, Megan.

02:21:15 - 02:21:16 | Speaker 2:

Come on in here, guys.

02:21:16 - 02:21:52 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, get on in here. Yeah, if you missed it, this is why you got to always check out the Mojo in the Morning podcast, the full show, because it's always filled with fantastic content. And we realized earlier in the week, as everyone is here from Channel 955 all around the country for our Jingle Ball, we realized KP has a crush on Jed. She sent Jed a DM, slid into his DMs. Then she called Jed a 9.5 on the show, which, I mean, Spike, have you ever been called a 9.5? No, never. Shannon, you've been a 9.5.

02:21:53 - 02:21:54 | Speaker 2:

Oh, wait, I did once.

02:21:54 - 02:21:55 | Speaker 4:

I don't know how anyone's ever called me that.

02:21:55 - 02:21:58 | Speaker 2:

I did get it. I was a nine once, but it was on a scale of a one to a hundred.

02:22:00 - 02:22:41 | Speaker 3:

Close, close, close. And now, I mean, the jingle ball happens. And I noticed you two were watching the Backstreet Boys together and and we get the big announcement that Mojo's sick. So we kind of all had to get back. I mean, you guys did because you guys had the show to go to no matter what. i found out that i had to fill in pretty quickly i immediately went to the hotel to go to bed it was my understanding that everyone else on my show did exactly that my producer was supposed to help fill in and he's done that and i can tell that you're in love now because you were with kp the whole entire night but you're not tired i was not just with kp the whole entire night

02:22:41 - 02:22:47 | Speaker 2:

ashley nix was being a bad influence and said to hell with this bs man we gotta be going out and

02:22:47 - 02:22:53 | Speaker 4:

with this beer you don't win no no no no jed and kp were out first and then i'm like you know what

02:22:53 - 02:23:17 | Speaker 1:

if jed can hang out i can hang out so this is the situation y'all was talking about you're going to go out after the event and i was like all right you guys are in town so let's do it didn't hear about it joe's like i'm going home i'm going home everyone's going home and then i get a text from good old jed he's like let's go to the casino and i'm like i don't know false it's really late hey no let me finish false he invited you to his hotel room first

02:23:17 - 02:23:21 | Speaker 3:

that's enough let me finish uh i i'm gonna tell the true story you can tell whatever you want

02:23:21 - 02:24:02 | Speaker 1:

i said gently i think i should go home and then he's like no and something i don't even know what he said i can't remember but i'm like all right let's go let's go to the casino and we went and then ashley and ej show up and we have a really good time and then we got mcdonald's and white castle and then i'm like well i'm already in detroit and we have to be producing literally in an hour so we're just gonna stay and work on the show right now and pull an all-nighter i ended up going to sleep and jed ended up doing the work in my bed yep he let me have his bed and he did the same clothes from yesterday oh say that again actually for the people yesterday kp i didn't plan on staying here i was actually planning on sleeping in the cot in the in the uh office again i was actually i was gonna wear the same clothes

02:24:02 - 02:24:30 | Speaker 3:

i'm happy mike is walking in right now mike you are missing a budding uh relationship and you even said, too, after getting back from breaking and entering that you had not seen Jed. You didn't even know Jed was here. No, yeah, yeah. I thought you might still be at the hotel. No, but they shared a hotel room. Has anyone in here ever shared a hotel room with someone of the opposite sex or any sex that they're into and not done anything at all and just shared the hotel room?

02:24:30 - 02:24:39 | Speaker 4:

Well, I have. You have? Yes, I have. You didn't even cuddle? No. You know that guy was trying

02:24:39 - 02:24:40 | Speaker 2:

Poor guy

02:24:40 - 02:24:46 | Speaker 3:

Did he at least try? He thought for a fraction of a second that there was a chance

02:24:46 - 02:24:50 | Speaker 4:

No Spike you know who it is Mikey No he did not

02:24:50 - 02:25:00 | Speaker 3:

Okay but If you shared a hotel room With someone and he called you a 9.5 Shannon Wouldn't you think he's going to put

02:25:00 - 02:25:02 | Speaker 4:

or maybe you would want to put on a move?

02:25:02 - 02:25:07 | Speaker 2:

I would think maybe he was going to try to put on a move, but that doesn't mean I have to respond accordingly to his move.

02:25:07 - 02:25:15 | Speaker 4:

So, Jed, you obviously put a move on. He did not. No, I did not put a move on. He's very respectful.

02:25:15 - 02:25:23 | Speaker 1:

No, it's not that I wasn't respectful. I truthfully had three edibles before going to the casino. Dude, I thought you just said you had three drinks.

02:25:23 - 02:25:25 | Speaker 2:

He had three shots of tequila. Now the edibles are coming out.

02:25:25 - 02:25:33 | Speaker 1:

You're right. So, at Jingle Ball, I was drinking like a fish. You're not supposed to be under the influence of anything. I was drinking like a fish. Let me tell you something.

02:25:33 - 02:25:35 | Speaker 2:

I wanted some drinks real bad.

02:25:35 - 02:25:44 | Speaker 1:

I was drinking like a fish and then afterwards I went and popped three watermelon edibles. They were sensational. And then we played blackjack. I lost my money and then I made it back on the slots.

02:25:44 - 02:25:51 | Speaker 2:

So we can't even trust your story as a first-hand account because we don't know what happened between you and KP because you don't even know. You were blitzed. Correct.

02:25:52 - 02:25:56 | Speaker 4:

I want to know what Megan's about. You are chomping at the book.

02:25:56 - 02:26:00 | Speaker 3:

That will get us fined. I'm really proud of myself for keeping this inside.

02:26:01 - 02:26:09 | Speaker 4:

Who actually believes that they did absolutely nothing? Not I said to Megan. They totally did something. Judge runs out of the studio now.

02:26:09 - 02:26:14 | Speaker 3:

Did you kiss? No, we didn't. Why not? I'm literally not kidding. You wanted to kiss her.

02:26:14 - 02:26:16 | Speaker 1:

All right, I'm going to say that I believe KP.

02:26:16 - 02:26:25 | Speaker 3:

I am not going to do that. But you want to kiss her. But I wanted there to be more of a story, but I believe you. This is my first time meeting everyone from the Joe show. I like you all. Why would I ruin it?

02:26:25 - 02:26:33 | Speaker 4:

But KP, we were on the side of the stage, Backstreet Boys. You turn and look at me and you go, so what's up with Jet?

02:26:33 - 02:26:35 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I was like, does he believe this shtick?

02:26:36 - 02:26:41 | Speaker 4:

If you were that into him to where you're thinking about him during a show.

02:26:41 - 02:26:43 | Speaker 3:

Have you met me? Do you see how anxious I am?

02:26:43 - 02:26:48 | Speaker 4:

I'm just saying. Do you see how ridiculous I am? That's fair. I understand that.

02:26:49 - 02:26:50 | Speaker 3:

I didn't expect everyone to agree.

02:26:52 - 02:26:54 | Speaker 4:

Are you going to come down and visit?

02:26:55 - 02:26:56 | Speaker 3:

Sure, yeah.

02:26:56 - 02:26:58 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and will you stay with Jed?

02:26:59 - 02:27:04 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, we're pretty platonic, so. Wait, okay, so this is my question, then.

02:27:04 - 02:27:06 | Speaker 2:

What's platonic? Is that German for hand stuff?

02:27:06 - 02:27:09 | Speaker 1:

It's over the pants. I think it's over the pants stuff.

02:27:09 - 02:27:19 | Speaker 2:

I don't know foreign languages. I want to ask legitimately, like, could there be something? I don't think so. You guys are all German. Oh, so yeah, Jed, you'd be into something.

02:27:19 - 02:27:21 | Speaker 4:

Ask nice questions and you'll get information, you jerks.

02:27:21 - 02:27:27 | Speaker 1:

I was in a bad spot mentally To make a move yesterday Let's just put it that way

02:27:27 - 02:27:34 | Speaker 3:

So it's not off the table It's totally on the table still Right? For both, yes

02:27:34 - 02:27:45 | Speaker 4:

Or on the counter Or on the bed Is it you're being awfully quiet? Just be honest, it's okay You called him a 9.5 And we're very confident in that You can think somebody's cute But you don't have to date them

02:27:45 - 02:27:50 | Speaker 3:

Nobody said anything about dating Yeah, we're not talking about dating We're talking about He freaking ass

02:27:50 - 02:27:52 | Speaker 2:

We're talking about naked wrestling.

02:27:52 - 02:27:53 | Speaker 3:

What is this?

02:27:53 - 02:27:56 | Speaker 2:

Is there any potential this could blossom in the future?

02:27:56 - 02:27:57 | Speaker 3:

We'll see.

02:27:57 - 02:28:02 | Speaker 2:

We'll see. All right. We're not going to pressure. We're not going to pressure. Just realize.

02:28:02 - 02:28:05 | Speaker 3:

You are so pressuring. We're not going to pressure. We're not going to pressure. We're going to five times it.

02:28:05 - 02:28:16 | Speaker 2:

But we're not going to pressure. Well, it's just, you know, for the show purposes, the ratings of both morning shows will greatly accelerate by a little inner office romance. We're just saying. We're not saying. We're just saying. Think about Good Morning America.

02:28:16 - 02:28:29 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, well, they got taken off the air. That is not a good comparison. We're not having an affair we're not right together right all right. I'm a fairly certain. This is gonna lead to something

02:28:34 - 02:28:40 | Speaker 2:

We have we have to end the show I'm gonna do a phone scam to end the show blink twice if you want us to buy a plane ticket

02:28:43 - 02:28:47 | Speaker 3:

She just walked away I have to blink again

02:28:47 - 02:29:02 | Speaker 4:

You just blinked twice. And thank you for that. And Spike, if you would, I would love to. Please. That would be a great way to send me off. And thank you to everyone who's been listening and everything. Thank you for filling in. Thank you so much for being here for us.

02:29:02 - 02:29:47 | Speaker 2:

I know your dad would thank you if he had a voice right now. I don't know. Thank you. Well, thank you to all of you guys. Good job, Ash. Give it up. All right, now give it up for Spike. Spike, we want a phone scam right now. Spike, can we get a phone scam, Spike? Let's do a mojo in the morning phone scam. Walder is a general manager of a restaurant that we've all enjoyed And I can't say the name of it But apparently this place is a big flirty party with the staff It's a fun place to work Much like it is here as we've just learned Some people maybe have a little flirty co-worker time But that's aside from the point I'm going to accuse the manager of dating an employee And sexual harassment So let's really see him squirm We will, we will scam you Sorry, it's a catchy song

02:29:47 - 02:29:56 | Speaker 1:

It's your home with phone scans. Mojo in the morning. Good afternoon. I think if we're calling out, please the bell bell now featuring great food to go. This is Chuck speaking, and how can I help you?

02:29:57 - 02:29:58 | Speaker 2:

Chuck, I'm looking for Walter, please.

02:29:58 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. Hold that one moment.

02:30:00 - 02:30:02 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. Oh, my God, who's that?

02:30:06 - 02:30:07 | Unknown:

Hello, it's Walter. May I help you?

02:30:07 - 02:30:22 | Speaker 2:

Walter. Yeah. This is Bert Ward from the home office in Overland Park. How are you? All right. How are you doing? Good. Do you have a second to talk? Sure. It's kind of a sensitive topic, but I was asked to bring this to your attention and follow it to the next level.

02:30:23 - 02:30:23 | Unknown:

Okay.

02:30:23 - 02:30:27 | Speaker 2:

There's been a complaint filed about a bartender named ***.

02:30:27 - 02:30:28 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

02:30:29 - 02:30:33 | Speaker 2:

And it involves maybe you being a little too flirtatious.

02:30:34 - 02:30:34 | Speaker 4:

Really?

02:30:34 - 02:30:35 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:30:37 - 02:30:38 | Speaker 4:

Okie doke.

02:30:38 - 02:30:53 | Speaker 2:

And obviously, you being a manager, that could be a sensitive topic. Yes, it could. I don't need to tell you, if this gets up to Lloyd Hill's office, we're all cooked like a Christmas goose. Right, I understand. Can you fill me in on your end, what's going on in the store? I mean, obviously, I'm not local, so I don't know what's going on there.

02:30:54 - 02:31:06 | Speaker 4:

Not a clue where that would come from. If the complaint came from her, I would find that odd because I have actually had a conversation with her about watching what she says to other people.

02:31:06 - 02:31:15 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, see, I don't know if it's coming from her or from someone else. It could be coming from someone else in the store. Oh, okay. When you say you had a conversation with her, does that mean...

02:31:15 - 02:31:18 | Speaker 4:

She sometimes speaks a little too freely to guests and other employees.

02:31:19 - 02:31:20 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay.

02:31:21 - 02:31:29 | Speaker 4:

She's kind of a rowdy, outspoken kind of girl. So I can pretty honestly say that I haven't instigated anything that I would feel would get me in trouble.

02:31:30 - 02:32:09 | Speaker 2:

You haven't? I'll tell you what I hear. I mean, other than just conversations that might be making people uncomfortable in the store, it's also they're saying maybe you guys, you buy her a lot of gifts? Never once. No jewelry, clothing, undergarments? Nope. Gardening supplies, gallon of milk, jumper cables, salad spinner, pet spider monkey. Is this a joke? Well, it's not. I mean, total sales for the a***** concept reached $2.93 billion last year, and we can't be putting all that on the line with any harassment suit or anything.

02:32:09 - 02:32:16 | Speaker 4:

I agree 100%. Never bought her a gift, never bought her a dinner, never spoken to her outside my building.

02:32:16 - 02:32:51 | Speaker 2:

Do you call her naughty sugar muffin around other employees? No. Okay. It's a corporate policy in handling a complaint such as this. You know, obviously we go through the initial employee interviews, find out what's really going on. Right. That's followed by a probationary period, which is where we'll schedule you guys for opposite working hours. We'll ask you to not schedule her while you're working and vice versa. We'll just ask you to call us here in the office whenever you need to talk to her so we can arrange for a witness to all conversations and encounters, you know, just that there's a third party involved.

02:32:53 - 02:32:57 | Speaker 4:

You're saying if I have to come to the bar and have the bartender do something, I have to call you guys?

02:32:58 - 02:33:08 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I mean, obviously, first you can just get somebody else to go to the bar, but if you think you really need to talk to the bartender, then maybe you call us, and then we'll set up for somebody to be there at the time to witness the conversation.

02:33:08 - 02:33:14 | Speaker 4:

I really don't see how that's feasible to do And run in a restaurant as a general manager

02:33:14 - 02:33:50 | Speaker 2:

Also, if a customer orders a summer squeeze or a patty melt You'll have to allow another team member to fill the order Due to, you know, the double entendre and the titles there Who am I speaking to? And one more thing, I'll appreciate your cooperation I mean, it's not a sprint, it's a marathon If anyone comes to your restaurant and they sit down to eat with their family I want you to tell them that you've just been a victim of a mojo in the morning phone scam Walter, this isn't really Burt Word from corporate. Yeah, I figured. Jennifer, Angie, and Kathy called us from the other Applebee's and wanted us to give you a phone scam.

02:33:50 - 02:33:51 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that's funny.

02:33:53 - 02:33:56 | Speaker 3:

So if you don't call her honey or sweetie, what do you call her?

02:33:56 - 02:33:58 | Speaker 4:

Oh, let's not even go there.

02:34:00 - 02:34:04 | Speaker 2:

We will, we will scam you.

02:34:05 - 02:34:07 | Speaker 3:

You're home with a phone scam.

02:34:07 - 02:34:11 | Speaker 2:

This is Mojo in the Morning Show. You just been phone scammed, sugar. This is Mojo in the Morning.
