I've had enough. I've signed off ever since Jingle Ball. I've decided that next year I'm going vacationing after Jingle Ball because I feel like we work up to that point. and then we have like all this other stuff to do and I feel like all this other stuff that we're doing right now is like when the last couple of weeks of either before Christmas vacation or the end of the year when the teacher would wheel in that television with the VCR on it or the DVD player and they would start playing movies. We should just watch Christmas movies the rest of the day today. Last night I literally got to a point where I got into my car and was going to come down here. I actually was picking up our remaining Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish gifts so I can bring them down here to Lydia. And I walked out of the business that was nice enough to donate to us. Thank you to Carl's Golf Land. Shout out to Carl's Golf Land. They gave us a bunch of stuff over there, Neil. And you'll hear, by the way, what we're doing for a wish later. And I was getting ready to head down Telegraph to go to the Lodge. And I said to myself, I have been on the Lodge Freeway 10 times in four days. I am not going on it again because our holiday party last night. By the way, question for you. Did any of you guys go to the holiday party?

I did, and I drove down to Toledo and back to make it back in time. Oh, my goodness.

I'm just saying. I mean, I know you thought it was a long drive. Oh, good for you. And I had to take 23 instead of 75 because the construction was so bad, so it took longer.

By the way, I'm really feeling sympathetic towards your, how long was your drive?

My drive is an hour, Megan.

It took me an hour and 10 minutes to get to work yesterday. My drive would have been driving down the lodge freeway, would have taken me from where I was, because I was way out in Waterford-ish. It would have taken me at least 55 minutes to an hour. That's an hour. It's closer to an hour than a half hour. You know what? I don't want to hear it.

On the icy roads every once in a while.

And all I would have done was come to a Christmas party at our radio station.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I'm going to be honest with you. It was a nice vibe. I had a great time. It was. The food was nice. The drinks were flowing. They had a live band. The guys that perform at the London Chop House, they sang and played. They ass off. It was family atmosphere. It was nice. Okay.

Apparently he performs at Cliff Bells all the time, so I needed to see him there.

I like to say that I accompany Christmas parties on Thursdays. And the other thing, too, is I'm a little salty. I'm going to tell you why I'm a little salty. What? Can you tell? What? I'm a little salty because I looked at an empty building yesterday. There was not one person here. And I thought to myself, we came in the day after Jingle Ball. Then I looked at this empty building going, oh, I get it. They gave everybody the day off so they could come to the Christmas party, except for us. Except for the on-air staffs of all the radio stations.

It's not what happened.

What did they do?

It was the roads. They said, work from home today. We'll see you later.

Well, why did we not get that note?

We don't ever get that note. I don't know if you know this. Our job is awesome, and we also don't get the same perks as everybody else. I feel like we should get, because they got a day, we should get a day that we get to use at our discretion any day. Have you guys ever heard of half days around here? They're our early release days. Those don't affect us. Yeah, they don't get us either. We don't get those.

I don't know. I'm just like, I had a point now. I talked to all the other people that are friends of mine who are doing their holiday parties, and a bunch of them are doing them tonight. And one guy, they rented out the entire back room of one of the nicest restaurants here in town. Literally closed the place down, and they're going there, and everybody is going there and getting picked up in Metro car services. The entire staffs. Now, they have a staff of, like, 60 people, so that's still a pretty good staff. We talked last week about the U, was it, what's Matt Ishbia's place called? UWM. UWM. They had, like, their off-the-charts party. Yeah, they go crazy. Where they had, like, Pitbull at it. a friend another friend of mine they decided that what they were going to do instead of doing a holiday party here after the first of the year they're taking their entire staff on a vacation to florida for a long weekend i'm like going man times supposedly are tough right having a good

I felt bad for you guys yesterday. I will say that. Like, I have now a very, very short drive in, so it didn't affect me at all, but even I was slipping around, and I thought, oh, that really sucks for you guys. So, in my defense, I did have sympathy for you. Yeah. Yesterday morning, and then after 10 a.m., that stopped.

I'm going to now pressure. I was the biggest person during COVID that said we should all be still coming to work you know it means so much and we did we never did not now I'm going to be the opposite we all should have stayed home we all should have stayed home now that I got to do an hour drive every single day

So you know the feeling of having to be at work. But you also know the feeling then of not getting the message that work got postponed or what happened?

I never got the message because I left out so early. and by the time I got to work, everybody got the call and I would be sitting at my desk.

You know what's funny is with us, I think we're the test of the roads. Then they hear us on the air going, it's so bad and they're like, oh, we probably shouldn't go into work today. I'm like, wait a second. What's up, Danny? Hi.

No, I just got it ready, you know what I mean? I'm like, I'm not going in today. My wife is like, what are you doing home? I'm like, eh, I don't feel like going nowhere to work today. I hear you.

I want to have one of those moments where it's like, I don't feel like it. I did yesterday when I decided not to come. I was like, I'm not going to the holiday party. Honestly.

And I'm happy. Honestly, I am happy for you because you and I have talked about, excuse me, God, Kev, I've got this throat thing like you do. You and I have talked about how it is so hard to say no to things, especially around this time of year. And sometimes for your own mental health and wellness, you just need a night off.

When you say yes to something, you're saying no to something else.

Can I say, though, the real reason why I went to this party? It was five minutes from my house and it was free dinner. Let's be honest.

And these are coming from three men who claim that Diddy drugged and then raped them at two Manhattan hotels and at his Hamptons estate. And you guys, these happened in 2019 and 2022. So pretty recent. One of the men recalled that during the incident, once Diddy was finished raping him, he handed him off to others so they could all take turns. And this is something we've heard in prior allegations. Each lawsuit alleges that Diddy served the victims alcoholic drinks spiked with drugs that made them feel ill and lose consciousness, only to wake up as Diddy was raping them. Paris Hilton's Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act passed unanimously in the U.S. Senate yesterday with all 100 senators on board. This legislation was really personal to Paris after, remember, she bravely shared her own very painful experiences about the physical, emotional and sexual abuse that she suffered at these youth residential treatment facilities. I think they were in Utah, the one specifically she was talking about. Now, the bill still needs to go through the U.S. House of Representatives before it reaches President Biden's desk, but it's well on its way. And the Lions taking on the Buffalo Bills this Sunday. And did you guys see they had to cancel practice yesterday in Buffalo because there was more than 30 inches of snow on the ground, travel restrictions. The weather was a mess. So I think they've only had one practice this week, and that was on Wednesday. They did a walkthrough. To my understanding, today, when the snow is expected to end, the team will have their first full, like, in-person practice. although it's typically a shorter practice to end the week but why wouldn't places that have

um stadiums and areas with bad weather have an indoor stadium i've always wondered this why

that's the uh that's the beauty of buffalo and i think that's their home field advantage but they're building them a new stadium i don't they are i don't know though if it's got a top a roof on it though i think that it's going to be an open air stadium you would think it's practice facilities but here's the thing it wasn't about the facility because they have an indoor facility for practicing, the players could not get out on the roads.

And so my new phone came, and I have the choice of trading in my old phone and getting, I think they were offering me like $300 or $350 for the thing. Maybe more. I don't know. I didn't have them go in and take a look at it. And I saw Zach, what are you using right now? What's your Apple? iPhone 10. He's got 10. He's on 10, guys. Let me see. Let me see.

All right, so I'm giving my old phone to Zach, but I'm giving it to him with a little bit of fear.

I am fearful that Zach is going to somehow get my information because I truly believe, no matter how much you wipe your information off of this thing, that there is still a chance that whoever gets your phone or your computer, if you give it to them, is somehow looking at your porn or knowing your credit card numbers or your passwords or any of that stuff. What are you more afraid of, the porn or the credit card?

Passwords. Not passwords or porn.

The passwords. Because I use virtually similar passwords for almost anything, and at that point then he gets into everything else. So I wanted to ask this question. Has anybody ever done this where you gave somebody some kind of an electronic device only to know that years later they were still using your information on the deal am i gonna get burned by this sack i mean is your netflix password on there well it is i could really use it and youtube tv's on there too and that just and that just went up you don't have to factory reset by the way youtube tv is the same price as xfinity i just want you to know that now 120 they're they're seriously up up to 100 bucks now that's a big story today okay can i tell you

something yeah so you this was a couple of years ago we're so kind and i was gonna buy smith maybe one of the kids an ipad and you were like do not do that i have one that i don't use you can just have it whatever and for what i i know you wiped it but for whatever reason whenever we tried to log into anything it was your email address that would keep coming up oh jesus and not that my kids can text because they can't they don't have you know we don't obviously they don't have phones or phone number or anything like that but if they clicked the little messages tab all of the text messages that were there still when you gave us the thing

wouldn't let you scroll so like I could see it was just the ones that were there it was just the ones that were right there that's the problem is I don't

believe that these these factory resets I don't believe it either wait which ones

Two months later, I get a letter or I get a phone call that the detective wanted to talk to me. I'm freaking out like I'm in trouble. I did something wrong. I did nothing. I'm at Taco Bell. They come meet me up there. I'm sitting down. I'm talking to them. and they said, you know, did you have a cell phone, whatever? I said, yeah. And then next thing you know, he goes, well, a family's suing the phone company. And I said, for what? And he goes, well, a family bought the phones. And the little girl that got my phone, because I deleted everything, I swear to God, I did.

Yeah.

And the little girl found a D-pick that I sent to the wife. Oh, no. I swear. Hey, tell me why, though. So tell me why this cop just has the nerve to go, I wasn't impressed. I'm like, what? This is crazy. You have a little penis. I know that's jealousy. This is crazy. That's unbelievable. Why are the cops asking you to meet them at Taco Bell?

Wait, because it was the cop's wife that he gave the phone to, right?

No, no, no, no. Oh. A family bought the phone.

Oh, the family that bought the phone. Okay. Oh, I thought it was cops. No. So the cop was, oh, my God. That's crazy.

When they said meet up, I said, can you meet me at work, you know, and I talked to the boss, they're, like, cool, whatever. But it was just funny when he said that. And I was thinking, oh, man, you know, like, can I get a part of this law?

oh my yes dear mojo in the morning my name is sue and i'm writing to tell you the story of the cop family nick is a warren police officer holly is a third grade waterford school teacher and their son jack is a second grader at cooley elementary on november 17th nick injured his neck in a hunting accident. He fell from his hunting blind and was on the ground for hours before his family found him. In seconds, his entire life changed. He is now paralyzed from the neck down. Nick has been on a ventilator full time and just this past weekend was able to begin taking small breaths with the aid of a trach ventilator. Nick has a long, long road ahead of him, But these small improvements are big steps in Nick's recovery. Mojo, your team and our community can help the Cot family this holiday season by making sure they have a proper Christmas at U of M Hospital. Jack's world has been turned upside down. and to have Santa presents and a holiday meal with his dad would mean the world to him and his family. Let's grant this breaking and entering wish. Yeah, they're the best. They're the best of the best out there at U of M. We love those guys. We are going to get Nick a bunch of things. We got Nick an echo so that he can voice command everything. We've got him iPads to help him in his recovery.

We were just talking about that yesterday, Nick. We took care of it. Yeah, we got you covered.

A new TV for the room. We got tons of DoorDash gift cards so that you guys can have meals sent to your house. But one of the biggest things that we're going to do is something that we think will be the best thing for Nick and for Jack because we understand that one of the things that Nick loved to do when he was off duty was to give Jack his baths and get him ready for bed every single night.

Take him up the stairs every night. So we're going to help you out with that. And this is a huge shout out to Tommy and everybody over at the Creative Mobility Group who have helped us out with breaking and entering year after year. But they are going to be installing a stair lift in your home. Okay? So you don't have to worry about Nick getting upstairs. And Nick and Jack can still go up those stairs together every single night to bed.

No, he is. and thanks to his neighbors who saved him because he was struggling to evacuate his home during those fires, those wildfires that are happening across Malibu right now.

I was trying to crawl to the car. I had exhausted myself. I couldn't get up. And three neighbors came and carried me out and came back and put up a little fire in the gas tub.

Yeah, he was trying to reach like a fire hose that he had.

How does Dick Van Dyke not have somebody taking care of him?

Well, it was him and his wife and their, I think they're cats that needed to get out. I don't know. I think she's younger than him, but still. Yeah, but he did update his fans on Facebook and said he and his wife and the pets made it to safety.

I think a guy like that should probably not be living in a home by himself. Don't they have like those nice.

He's got his wife. She's 53. Yeah. And when you see him. He's like very physically able for his age. Like, I promise you, he did an event for celebrating Mary Poppins. And this was like a year ago. So he was moving around a lot more than you would think for a 98-year-old. And he was just on Jimmy Kimmel, I think it was. I think it was Jimmy Kimmel. And he was, yeah. I mean, I'm not saying the guy's going to go run a marathon. But I don't think he needs assistance to move around at all. He's so cute. He's so cute.

Salina Gomez and Benny Blanco announced this week, the day before yesterday, that they are, in fact, engaged. Another big congrats to them. They actually got engaged back in August. And the story that I'm hearing is that they decided to delay going public with this happy news over concerns that it would be tied to her ex, Justin Bieber, becoming a dad for the first time. She didn't want to be accused of stealing the spotlight from Justin and Haley having their baby. So they said, OK, we're keeping it quiet for a couple of months. And yeah. Do you think she talked to Haley because Haley commented or Haley liked it? Haley liked her post about her engagement. Yeah, I think they talked about it. I would say no, but I don't know. I don't know. If anybody watches Vanderpump Rules, one of the stars of that show, James Kennedy, has been arrested for domestic violence. Police were called to a home on Tuesday night in response to an argument between a man and a woman. The investigation determined it was a domestic incident, which led to the arrest of the Bravo star. He has posted $20,000 bail while formal charges are pending. And popular drinkware brand, Stanley, just issued a recall of 2.6 million travel mugs over.

potential burn hazards so if you have a stanley this recall applies specifically to the stanley switchback and trigger action stainless steel travel mugs but it's not the oh not the not the popular ones right it's the no the yeah so well it's like the the tumbler one like and it's all the sizes all the color 12 to 20 ounces 12 to 20 ounces it's the ones that you put like hot coffee I think the popular ones are the water bottle ones, right? So the recall is because of the detachable lids. And I guess they got 90 reports of people getting burned, like burned badly enough to require medical attention. So Stanley is saying, please immediately stop using the recalled travel mug and then contact Stanley to get a free replacement lid. Okay, so I feel like Wes and I are trying to figure out what in the heck we're doing for each other for Christmas. And this is a thing every year. And this year it started off with we're not going to get each other.

anything because we had an expensive year with the wedding and moving and all of those things so we're like we're not going to do gifts for each other we decided we're gonna both go in on like a fancy coffee machine to have at home that's something we've both been wanting we're like that will be our gift to each other nice that will be the gift that gives keeps on giving no seriously i want i want like a good coffee machine so we just have a curate right now well then it turned into we'll do that and then we'll get each other stockings because that's what we've always done is just do stockings. Well, then yesterday I caught him taking notes on some stuff that I was talking about. And they were like, give like bigger things like clothes, like like gift items, not stocking items. And so I'm like, I do not trust him whatsoever to just do a stocking and then us go in on this coffee maker. And so then we're talking about that. And I had a bunch of his mail and like packages on the kitchen counter. And he's like, please don't open anything from, you know, now on. They might be for you. And I said, oh, are these for my stocking, right, that we're supposed to just be doing? And he goes, no. Stockings are for stuff like socks and Listerine strips and deodorant and tooth, like the necessities. No, no, it's not. I said, no, no. Stockings are for the best gifts.

Really? No. Also disagree.

Oh, see, we always got really good, maybe not the best gifts, but good gifts. Santa brought great gifts in our stockings.

Stockings for me in our house were always, like, cool, fun things, but not, like, big, big presents.

But not necessities, not toothbrushes.

Well, by the way, if you're giving toothbrushes and toothpaste to your kids, you basically gave them Tuesday of last week that they should have had already.

I said to him, you are not in charge of any of our children's stockings because they're not getting Listerine strips on Christmas morning. Moja, what were your stockings?

So we would get, Santa would come, and he would leave under the tree for us a bunch of big presents.

Yeah, same.

And then we would have our stockings that were hung by the chimney with care in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

Okay.

And then, no, but they were inside of them would be, we might get, like, some Bombas socks or something like that. You know, like whatever the socks were. I'll take those. Or we might get like a fun little like little toys like squirt guns or things like that. I don't know. But we wouldn't get like big things in the stockings. What would you get?

It's just so funny to me that these are all different. Candy. So we had traditional. Oh, and we get candy too, yes. Traditional, but that's like all our stockings were. Were like treats. And every year my dad would get us those. And I don't know if they're popular up in the Metro Detroit area, but those smashable chocolate oranges. Yeah. You know, Shannon, how much I love those. I love those. And I, like, it's not Christmas if I don't get a smashable chocolate orange.

See, my mom would, Santa and my mom, would always put makeup, like, CDs. Okay, yes.

Because I'm old. What would you guys do with your stockings?

I mean, when I was growing up, we never got gifts in our stockings. Like, stockings is just decoration for real. Really? I thought this was going to be a sad moment. Did you want me to make you a stocking? No, I'm straight. I mean, I thought stockings were, like, stupid, to be honest with you. Because, like, you can't fit anything in a stocking that I would actually want. As long as the bottom of the tree is banged with all the gifts. Let me tell you something.

The past couple of years that Wes and I have just done stockings, I have gotten so creative. I've put amazing things, concert tickets, in those stockings. Like, I really try to be creative with getting good gifts in the stocking because that was the rule. But, like, when he's saying for, you know, it's for necessity, isn't it?

i know that i've said this before but it is really unfortunate you're not my wife because you are a great gift giver so west should be grateful concert tickets in your stocking are you kidding me concert tickets would be awesome peanut butter cups and chocolate oranges sam

wasn't it the toy in the bottom did they stop because some kid sued because he choked on

wonder what's in a wonder ball you remember that no that was at the bottom of what cereal no not a cereal you would buy them and they would come in a box or like buy the checkout like areas or whatever and it was chocolate wrapped around a plastic egg and inside the egg was either more candy or toys oh that's like kinder eggs yes it was the american kinder egg

okay here's a story that just popped in my head out of the blue i remember i got punished when i was a kid because we used to hang real candy canes up on our christmas tree and the christmas tree would turn out uneven, and my dad, because we never got candy in our house. Believe it or not, look at me. Do you think I got candy when I was a kid? Stop. You would think I got a lot. No, I got mashed potatoes and gravy. That's what I got. Well, when we were kids, we would take the candy canes off of the tree and eat the candy canes, because we were so excited that there was candy hanging on the tree, and my

dad would go, who took the goddamn candy canes off the tree?

And there'd be like half a tree with no candy canes on it, and all I remember was my dad, he'd go, Tommy! And we'd be like, up in my room, I know. Real quick, on candy canes. Yeah. Don't like a party you die when they break. Oh, yeah, when you don't get to the end.

Those wrappers are bitch. Did you have a sibling that you would, like, suck on the one end and make it sharp and then, like, poke a little bit? Yeah.

Yeah, on the death of One Direction star Liam Payne. So we're now getting some information that he was calling hotel employees at the Buenos Aires Hotel, where he was staying all of the time, like over and over incessantly, to ask for alcohol and advice on where he could buy cocaine right before he died. Andy offered an escort five grand to come in, quote unquote, party with him. So Esteban Grassi is the chief receptionist at this hotel who is now under formal investigation. And he claims that Liam called down constantly asking for drugs and cocktails, insulted a member of his staff when they couldn't help him out or answer his questions. Also documented as part of this case, texts exchanged on WhatsApp between Liam and an escort in which he offered her $5,000 to come and visit him. And then the report also has in it a psychiatrist email advising that it was impossible to continue supporting Liam and his mental health. And it was written in here that he had warned Liam and his team about the risks associated with mixing antidepressants and alcohol, something that it sounds like he did kind of frequently so that's wild as a celebrity and

somebody that's well known he must have either stayed there often or had a connection because you would think that you wouldn't be calling and just asking for all this stuff I don't even know

if it was that or if when he checked in they obviously knew that he was you know a high profile guest and so they gave him you know somebody's specific number and said we'll take care of you anything you need just ask and this is what he was asking for I'm not quite sure in

And I guess she screamed into the phone. Delay, deny, depose. You people are next. So, remember, detectives investigating the assassination of Brian Thompson uncovered some cell casings bearing those, I'm sorry, I said delay, but deny, defend, and depose. Not smart on this woman's part. She was charged with writing a threat to kill or injure and also charged with an act of terrorism. So she's now facing 15 years in prison for making that phone call and screaming that into the phone and a

yeah i know i'm excited to be honest with you to move um but i am aware that that excitement will come and go at some points i'm sure maybe those first couple of nights when the home is a bit quieter quieter than what it once was and those same voices that I've come accustomed to listening to and loving won't be there anymore reverberating off the walls it'll just be myself um but I'm aware that that's going to take place so when those emotions hit hopefully it'll be a softer landing is uh has Sherelle moved out uh yet or is she no I think she's picking up the keys some I think I think she'd get her keys today or something oh so she's not staying in the same place where you know okay i mean that was always our our intention was to live in this place until our lease is up which is next month okay and then originally you know the idea was to you know move

out together get a house but you know circumstances in life you know do you do you guys talk like have you told her about the place or showing her the place or anything yeah for sure she know she know a little bit about it yeah yeah um she said it's nice it is nice did she say it night like it's nice like oh that's nice like she could pull up anytime she wants to man come through

want to go in my door. Elevators scare me, especially if fire alarms go off and stuff like that.

I don't know. You get on a lower floor. And they say there's something to the stairwell, because that was my question, like, working that quick, and like, if a fire breaks out, like, what's going to happen? And something in the stairwell based on the concrete or whatever keeps the fire off. Something like that.

That's the dumb version. So you're moving to your new place. You got a new place. How soon will you be asking anybody to help you move? Because I don't know if you noticed, I'm leaving town.

I've got some vacations time here. Listen, treat people how you want to be treated. I don't want to be asked, and I'm not going to do any asking. And I'm not doing it myself because the last time I did that, I'm thinking I'm going to save some money and do all of that. Hell no. You think you're saving money. The time that you spend, you're back afterwards. Like, nah, bro.

the season for the month dui weekend it's number three on the list number one is new year's that weekend and number two is saint patrick's day weekend for the biggest dui weekends uh and it's because everybody's going to holiday parties at this time of the year and lyft you know what's funny though people for some reason still don't get it and they but this is the problem though shan is that people think and i see it so many times and they're good friends of that they'll have a couple of drinks and they think two drinks don't give that doesn't give them a blood alcohol level that's over the legal limit and here's the problem the problem is you think you're fine but the legal limit they made so low because they want to make sure you absolutely are fine so it's not that you can't control yourself whatever you feel okay but if you're over 0.08 you're you're donezo um didn't has anybody ever gotten a DUI man uh kev you got one right no no no i've been in two drunk driving accidents and luckily did not get a dui from yeah

But I want to ask you a question. When you get pulled over by the police, that incident takes place, the moment that it takes place, those cops, is it that they sense that you are drunk, or they smell that you possibly have had alcohol, or both?

You know, a lot of times at that time of the day, like you just said, people are coming home from holiday parties. They know they're out there looking for that person who's just doing one thing wrong. They might pull you over for speeding. They might pull you over for going over the line, they say, or swerving or whatever you're doing, texting and driving, right? And then they're just going to ask you, have you had anything to drink? 99% of everybody just says, yeah, I only had a couple of drinks. I had a drink a couple hours ago. As soon as they do that, they just admitted to drinking and driving without even realizing they admitted to it.

Wow. So even just being honest. So so, Nick, if so, if you are somebody that gets pulled over and you may have had a drink earlier in the evening, what you should not say something like that? You shouldn't say, yeah, I drank.

Of course. Once you do, you're admitting you're admitting that you drank and you're giving improbable cause to pull you or pull you out of the vehicle, do sobriety tests on you. So, no, you shouldn't admit to it.

But once you say you have it and then they do the tests and they do the blood, alcohol, whatever, then can you get charged with lying to a cop?

No, no. I mean, you know, listen, here's the thing. You have the right to not incriminate yourself. So, you know, you don't have to you have the right to remain silent that whole time. You could just crack your window and just hand him your I.D., but that's going to make things even more awkward, you know, when people do that. But you technically could just crack the window and hand him your ID and be like, here, write me my speeding ticket. But the common person doesn't know to go do all that. You know what I mean?

Hey, Nick, when you do get asked to do the test, like if they say to you, hey, come out of the car or step out of the car, are they're asking you to do like a roadside sobriety test? What should you do in a case like that?

Well, you could take the test or you could refuse the test. If you refuse the test on the scene, it's just a civil infraction. But if they do take you to jail and you end up refusing that second test that they do, then at that point they can suspend your license for up to a year. Wow. So you've got to be careful with doing that. But if you're on the scene, if you're on the site, the PBT test that they do on the road, that's the civil infraction if you refuse it. It's the second test that they do after they have the probable cause and they actually arrest you. If you were to refuse that second test, it's considered a refusal. You can lose your license for a year. We appeal those all the time for people, though, and we have 14 days to appeal it. So if someone did do that, they have 14 days, or they're going to lose their license for a year with no chance of getting it back.

I think a lot of people know that.

No, there's so much. that people don't know that's the thing that's why if you try to go in on this on your own or a lot of times people say you know let me just get a court appointed attorney those guys have 75 cases that they're working on that they don't they're getting paid a hundred dollars to do and give their clients the time that's needed to really explain this stuff to them i mean this

If they catch you smoking a joint and driving, they can say you were impaired. But here's the thing. With Michigan, you know, we have medical marijuana patients. People are allowed to have it in their system. So that gets a little bit interesting right there. I beat a case where they pulled the kid over for having, the kid literally had a seizure, and he got stopped in the middle of the road to destroy police. They pull him out of the car while he's having a seizure. They check his pocket. They say, oh, he has a vape. He's high because he has a vape. So we actually took the case to trial, and we won the case because the prosecutor, we say, you know what? We're going to take the trial. This kid wasn't high. He had a seizure. So they tried to blame it on that because, but what if you have a medical marijuana car in Michigan, you can't have it in your system and they have to prove that you were substantially impaired. Wow. But up-and-coming Gen Z spenders want social connection, instant gratification, and moments to post on social media inside of cute little local shops and stores in the mall. And mall owners and retailers are trying to cater to tweens and teens and 20-somethings with unique features inside of the stores like selfie mirrors, videos, experiences like pop-up concerts, happy hours, those sorts of things to get Gen Z actually into their store.

It's interesting because they're doing it. They're going back in. But then there are still malls that say no teens can be there after a certain time. You know, they're trying to kick you out. But the mall used to be the hang. That used to be the place that you would go to. Yes. Do you ever, I used to, the mall I would be like, my parents would drop me off and it was my babysitter for like the day. It's great, yeah.

This is the time of the year, and it's funny. I've been talking on the air during the Reynolds Orthodontics commercials about your HSA and FSAs and all that stuff, all the SSAs. NBCs. Right, exactly. And how you put money into this thing all year, and you've got a chunk of change in there. You've got to figure this out.

Well, your FSAs run out at the end of every year, and it's sort of the use it or lose it. HSAs are like a 401k, so you can use them over time. But a lot of people call us and they don't think about it. They're like, oh, yeah, I got a thousand bucks left or whatever. And they're trying to figure out by contacts or where they can go with it. And so we at least just try to remind people that orthodontics can be used for that if they need to.

And we're seeing this more that, you know, obviously people putting them on, you know, putting braces or doing sparks like we are doing spark clear aligners, which are amazing. The a lot of times mom or dad either wants a redo or their first time ever. A lot of people my age who have kids never had braces because their parents maybe were too cheap or honestly couldn't afford them, right?

You know, facial sticks in general are more important now. And so to have crooked teeth at any age isn't the same as it was when we were young. So there's a lot of people that see what happens with their kids' teeth and smiles and personalities as they get transformed and, you know, they want it for them too. And it's more affordable now than it ever has been.

And the other thing is we take more pictures now than we ever took before. That's right. And post and share.

Okay. Yeah. Dear Mojo in the morning, my name is Sue, and I'm writing to tell you the story of the Kott family. Nick is a Warren police officer, Holly is a third grade Waterford school teacher, and their son Jack is a second grader at Cooley Elementary. On November 17th, Nick injured his neck in a hunting accident. He fell from his hunting blind and was on the ground for hours before his family found him. In seconds, his entire life changed. He is now paralyzed from the neck down. Nick has been on a ventilator full time and just this past weekend was able to begin taking small breaths with the aid of a trach ventilator. Nick has a long, long road ahead of him, but these small improvements are big steps in Nick's recovery. Mojo, your team and our community can help the Cot family this holiday season by making sure they have a proper Christmas at U of M Hospital. He's doing good. He's doing good. Baby steps. Baby steps. He said he can't talk right now. He's on a vet, so he can't talk. But the doctors and nurses are just taking such great care of him here.

Yeah, they're the best. They're the best of the best out there at U of M. We love those guys. We are going to get Nick a bunch of things. We got Nick an Echo so that he can voice command everything. We got him iPads to help him in his recovery.

We were just talking about that yesterday, Nick. We took care of it. Yeah, we got you covered.

A new TV for the room. We got tons of DoorDash gift cards so that you guys can have meals sent to your house. But one of the biggest things that we're going to do is something that we think will be the best thing for Nick and for Jack because we understand that one of the things that Nick loved to do when he was off duty was to give Jack his baths and get him ready for bed every single night.

Take him up the stairs every night. So we're going to help you out with that. And this is a huge shout out to Tommy and everybody over at the Creative Mobility Group who have helped us out with breaking and entering year after year. But they are going to be installing a stair lift in your home. Okay. So you don't have to worry about Nick getting upstairs. And Nick and Jack can still go up those stairs together every single night to bed.
