Mojo. This show's up. And the Rockets red glare.

00:02:22 - 00:02:23 | Speaker 1:

You're not being logical is what I'm saying.

00:02:23 - 00:02:26 | Speaker 5:

This is like an orgasm and a cop.

00:02:31 - 00:03:23 | Unknown:

Showtime. We'll be right back.

00:03:23 - 00:04:04 | Speaker 5:

I'm sorry, we were having a discussion off the air, not realizing our microphone was on. Good morning, welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. Hey, ho, ho, ho, happy, happy, happy. We are on Wednesday, the show, which by the way, I always feel like it's the best show of the week. I know this sounds crazy to say this because everybody loves Thursday's War of the Roses and all that, but Wednesday always gets kind of nutty here on the show, and we're very happy that Spike is back today, so welcome back, Spike. Feeling better? Good morning.

00:04:04 - 00:04:08 | Speaker 1:

I'm about 70, 80%. Good enough to get in here and get some work done.

00:04:09 - 00:04:12 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, well, I just missed you at Dr. Warner's office yesterday.

00:04:12 - 00:04:20 | Speaker 1:

Oh, did you? Yes, our show gynecologist. By the way. The two men missed each other in the hallway of the show gynecologist.

00:04:20 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

Can I tell you the funniest? The funniest was I walk into Dr. Warner's office, and as I walk into the office, there are a couple of expectant moms that are waiting inside of the waiting area there. And I think they double-taked a couple of times because they were probably looking for me to bring a wife or girlfriend in with me. And I'm like, oh, no, I'm here for myself. and then one woman goes I'm a huge fan she goes I just saw a spike here just a little bit ago and I said I said oh yes I said we uh we love to come to Dr. Warner too because we like to get you

00:05:00 - 00:05:15 | Speaker 2:

Our vaginas checked out, too. And she was so excited about it. And she goes, I thought that was just all a joke that you guys talk about on the radio when you say you have your official show, Gynecologist. But Dr. Warner, he's the best.

00:05:15 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 1:

I'll be there tomorrow. Actually getting my vagina checked out. Why did we all not carpool?

00:05:18 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. It would have been one big morning show.

00:05:22 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 1:

Could have gone out to lunch afterwards.

00:05:23 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 3:

Well, it's funny because he said, I want to call you. I didn't want to violate any trust between patient, but I heard you were out for two days. I kept hearing you were missing, and I wanted to call you and see if you were okay. You didn't contact me to see. I want to take care of you. So when I finally texted him and said, listen, things are going south. I was hoping it was just a 24-hour bug like the other guys had, but this is something different because I didn't have what you guys had, thank God. You guys were really washed out. Mine was really concentrated in the throat, and he treated me for, I'm on so many things, I don't know if it's a flu or, he thinks it's RSV. He thinks it's the thing that's going around. Because I had my flu shot, and I know, but no, but.

00:06:08 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 1:

You're sandwiched right in between.

00:06:10 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 2:

I'm the only one in this room who has not gotten anything, and I feel like it's slowly

00:06:14 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 1:

been creeping around me. Hold on, one, one, one, one, one. I know.

00:06:17 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 3:

Well, I'm well past any kind of contagious level now. Maybe last Friday when we hugged that might have been bad But anyway He also treated me in case it was strept I got antibacterial In case he's shooting me to the moon Streptococcus You never know what it is

00:06:34 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 2:

I always love the names that they ever use

00:06:37 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 3:

But anyway I feel a hundred times better Than I did 24 hours ago I'm literally on so many different things right now You might have to remind me later I did the show But it was fun because the first day I just laid and watched movies all day classic 80s and 90s movies got every christmas special out of the way tuesday i was so sick of tv and so sick of like drinking tea and honey i was like i gotta do something so i ended up like working on papers and paperwork and wrote out christmas cards you i know but let me tell you also that i got a good gauge of how many delivery people come to my house in an average day when you're home all day you see every 20 minutes do i hear a noise and then i said oh somebody delivering and i have to tell you the big scandal that happened over the weekend because i put out one of those those little boxes by the front door for snacks and treats said you know delivery drivers help yourself yeah and over the weekend it disappeared and i mean the whole box got carried away it was gone a porch pirate came yes so and i did observe that when delivery drivers come up they do like to they don't take one or two treats oh my gosh they take as many as two hands can carry so i had to fill the thing every night i would refill it with bags of chips and cookies and waters and stuff well over the weekend somebody carried off the whole thing oh i love that it made me laugh and i thought for sure maybe this is like a prank one of my neighbors took it because they didn't just take all the snacks they took the box it was in and everything which was a

00:08:09 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 2:

big like produce box from costco do you have like a camera so i usually do i usually have like

00:08:15 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 3:

security system i could check but i took all the cameras down because last week i had windows replaced in my home and so i didn't put those back up yet oh man oh the one time i know i know because i had to paint the trim still before i put the sticky fingers oh my gosh so now i have no idea who did it i i quizzed all my neighbors i interrogated and most of them had no idea what i was talking about because they hadn't been up to my door in the last two weeks where i had the the box out yeah so nobody knows where it is i thought maybe my girlfriend meg does not she's the box clutters her front porch she's not a fan of the box but uh she i thought maybe she hit it but no she didn't um so now i have no idea where it is but i had to get a new box it's smaller

00:08:58 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 2:

shoe box wait so they and they not only took the the ever all the items they took the box

00:09:03 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 3:

They took the little cardboard sign that said, hi, delivery drivers, thank you, please help yourself.

00:09:09 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 1:

For sure it's a neighbor. You've got to check other porches and see if they have a cute little setup like you did.

00:09:15 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 2:

Yesterday we talked about porch pirating, and we found out that a majority of the porch pirates are neighbors. That was crazy, the amount of people that said that their neighbors would brazenly walk up to their door and take whatever it was that was there.

00:09:29 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 3:

Well, who would steal the whole crate? You can't put out the same box. I'm going to notice it's the same box.

00:09:35 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 2:

Can I tell you that I have had, so Chelsea does the same thing that you do, and she puts out a box for these guys, and I have had the Amazon and UPS and FedEx drivers actually ask if we had anything else in there.

00:09:50 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 1:

No, you do not. They were picky.

00:09:52 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Swear to you. Yes. Ask if there was something else, because we had like Cheez-Its, and we had Doritos, and Sun Chips, and things like that.

00:10:00 - 00:10:09 | Speaker 3:

in there and then little waters and the person that was delivering it was an Amazon driver said you guys don't happen to have a Diet Coke in there

00:10:09 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 2:

I love it there's a lot of healthy things and a lot of sweets and stuff but like the healthy things nobody touches even like the bake delays are too healthy for everybody but you know what the biggest popular thing was? All the leftover Halloween candy

00:10:24 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 4:

they're taking all that

00:10:27 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 2:

but I did have like the bags of cookies go But anything that could be remotely considered Halfway healthy, nobody touches

00:10:34 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 1:

I did it one year And I think for the whole season Maybe one thing got taken And I'm like, okay, I'm not going to do this anymore Really? Yes, they did not take anything Maybe they were all dieting that year I don't know, but I was so bummed Because I was so excited to do it And nobody wanted stuff from my box

00:10:52 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 2:

In my old house, it was like one little One little thing they would take

00:10:56 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 1:

What's wrong with my box?

00:10:57 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 3:

We found out yesterday that your box can fit a lot Really? We talked about it You'll have to go back to the podcast and listen to that It came out that that's the case Matter of fact, speaking of your box Dr. Warner, one of his fellow patients Dr. Warner checks that Hi, Judy Judy, what's going on? Hi How are you? You're a patient of Dr. Warner's? 35 years Whoa Isn't he the greatest?

00:11:26 - 00:11:30 | Speaker 7:

He is the best Thank you to Jeff Sackwell Oh, that's right

00:11:30 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 3:

I have to thank him too Because Jeff's the reason why I met Dr. Warner

00:11:34 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 7:

One day he walked into my office And he goes, I was out on Lake St. Clair And my friend's a doctor And I had to turn around And he had to call his patients And I'm like, that's the kind of doctor I want And he's like, do you need a gynecologist? I go, I do

00:11:49 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 3:

And I've been calling ever since Isn't it wild we all go to Dr. Warner

00:11:54 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 2:

He's so funny too Because he really lectures us and keeps us healthy. He was like, I listen to your show. You sound so happy. Girlfriend sounds so incredible. She's cooking for you. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She's cooking lots of healthy vegetables and fruits. And I'm like, yeah. No red meat? No dairy? No red meat? No fatty stuff? No. No. And she's using all the good oils? Yeah. And then he says, is she using?

00:12:10 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 7:

And what kind of cleaning products are you using?

00:12:11 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yes. Cleaning products. Yeah. And he says.

00:12:14 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 1:

No texting and driving, right? Are you using a good eye cream? Sunscreen?

00:12:17 - 00:12:29 | Speaker 2:

Sunscreen. He did the sunscreen. He did. are you using lots of butter and cheese i said hold up mind your own business okay she's a really good cook i like the butter and the cheese yeah that's awesome that's up yeah

00:12:29 - 00:12:42 | Speaker 7:

when i was having my firstborn he walks into the hospital room with his pistons jacket on and uh the nurses started yelling at him you have to get out of here you have to get out of here we're giving her an epidural he goes i'm the doctor

00:12:42 - 00:13:13 | Speaker 3:

they all thought it was probably your husband walking in there or something that's funny um my were you the did you text us because i loved i loved your text it said it's uh it says now uh now we know why we have to sit for hours for dr werner's office because you boys are getting your vaginas checked that is so funny because it's so true actually the reason why i think it takes so long in Dr. Warner's office is it takes long for him to say goodbye to you, which is so

00:13:13 - 00:13:21 | Speaker 2:

sweet. Alright, so I'll see you again. I'll see you again. Take care. Take care. Bye-bye. How are the girls? Girls doing good? Okay, it's really good to see you. Take care of yourself.

00:13:21 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 3:

Make sure you wear your seatbelt. I swear to you, God, I say this all the time, but I believe that we're going to go to heaven one day, and we're going to find out that Dr. Warner is like our guardian angel or something like that. He's like Clarence from It's a Wonderful Life. That's awesome. We love you. Take care, Judy. Love you, too. Bye. Alright, take care. What's up, Sarah. I almost did a Dr. Warner there. Okay, take care. What's going on, Sarah?

00:13:45 - 00:13:52 | Speaker 5:

Hi. I was talking, I texted you guys about the front porch gifts for the delivery driver. Yeah, oh yeah, yeah.

00:13:52 - 00:13:56 | Speaker 3:

Spikes gifts to the delivery drivers were stolen.

00:13:58 - 00:14:23 | Speaker 5:

I, you know, I tried it too. Like I, you know, I thought it would start out easy with just like a shoebox. I put some gifts in it and I thought, at first I was like, oh, they're taking off stuff. And then I started noticing wrappers around my front yard And I thought, that's not very nice. And then I noticed that the box was getting chewed up. And I was like, oh, man, it's the squirrels. So I had to get like a really serious box with like a lid you had to lock. And it was really heavy because the squirrels would like take the box and drag it away.

00:14:23 - 00:14:25 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that unbelievable? Maybe that's the case with yours, Spike.

00:14:25 - 00:14:38 | Speaker 2:

It becomes such a chore to just try and give out a few treats. No, it couldn't be the squirrels because there's all these heavy water bottles in there. So the whole box, they would have tipped it over maybe, but they wouldn't have taken the whole thing.

00:14:38 - 00:14:38 | Speaker 3:

That's amazing.

00:14:38 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 5:

I've seen some pretty burly squirrels lately. Oh, yeah.

00:14:41 - 00:14:43 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Lauren? Hi.

00:14:44 - 00:14:45 | Speaker 6:

Hi, how are you?

00:14:45 - 00:14:46 | Speaker 3:

Good. What's going on?

00:14:47 - 00:14:56 | Speaker 6:

I was just texting in. I said, as a FedEx driver, we want the most unhealthy snacks that you have because we need that sugar rush to keep us going.

00:14:56 - 00:14:57 | Speaker 3:

That's so funny.

00:14:57 - 00:14:58 | Speaker 6:

So anything unhealthy.

00:14:58 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. So if you put healthy...

00:15:00 - 00:15:11 | Speaker 5:

stuff in there granola bars and things yuck you want give me some snickers bars and doritos right yep yeah exactly you guys probably work off a lot how many steps a day do you get in as a

00:15:11 - 00:15:19 | Speaker 4:

fedex driver uh usually over a hundred during peak season a hundred thousand a hundred stops

00:15:19 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 5:

per no no no steps i was talking about steps oh steps yeah like 10 000 plus 10 000 plus a day Easy. Good.

00:15:29 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah.

00:15:30 - 00:15:38 | Speaker 5:

And think about that because you're sitting in a car or in a truck all day, too. But that means that's how many steps you're getting from the truck to the porch. All right. Thanks for the call.

00:15:39 - 00:15:44 | Speaker 6:

00:18:12 - 00:18:15 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the mornings dirty on the 30

00:18:15 - 00:18:22 | Speaker 5:

we got the 5 at 655 senseless survey and more coming up here in just a little bit right now shannon with the dirty on

00:18:22 - 00:19:45 | Speaker 1:

the 30 yesterday megan estallion was in court for the second day of that tori lane suiting trial and both sides are still trying to lay out what they say happened the night megan was shot in the foot prosecutors say tori lane's pulled the trigger while tori's attorneys have laid out some alternative theories including pointing out some possible fighting between megan and her former BFF Kelsey that night but in the courtroom yesterday Megan giving some emotional testimony to the jury she said as she started walking out of the vehicle that night again this was back in July of 2020 she heard Tory Lanez say dance bitch and then claims she saw him with the gun pointing at her before she got shot she said she started to go into shock at that point and Megan claims Tori then said to her, quote, don't say anything and I'll give you a million dollars. And she said she remembers thinking about how he seemed more concerned about possibly going to jail than what he had just done. And the fact that he had shot her and she was bleeding. As for her friend Kelsey, Meg testified she never saw her with a gun in her hands. And she got really emotional when she was talking about the impact that this case has had on her. She said she wished she was dead instead of having to deal with this. She wished Tori would have just killed her that night instead of having to deal with all of the fallout from this.

00:19:45 - 00:19:56 | Speaker 5:

I watched some of the coverage on one of those shows, Extra or Access Hollywood. And I couldn't believe that Tori Lanes has fans out in front of the courthouse.

00:19:56 - 00:19:57 | Speaker 1:

And he brought his son yesterday.

00:19:57 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 5:

Sharing him on like this. I mean, knowing.

00:20:00 - 00:20:02 | Speaker 2:

And that he shot her in the foot and did all this stuff.

00:20:03 - 00:20:05 | Speaker 5:

And tried to pay her off to shut up.

00:20:05 - 00:20:24 | Speaker 2:

And they also talked at the trial yesterday about how many artists have shown support for Tory Lanez by putting this whole incident in their songs, in their rap songs. And I guess the rap community, you know, is being called to question right now because it's obviously domestic violence what happened to Megan Thee Stallion.

00:20:25 - 00:20:36 | Speaker 5:

Netflix's documentary series about Prince Harry and a different Meghan, Meghan Markle, has the most viewing time than any other documentary on Netflix during its first week. The first three episodes of Harry and Meghan.

00:20:36 - 00:20:39 | Speaker 2:

And that's just Meghan alone. Our Meghan alone is watching that whole thing.

00:20:39 - 00:21:09 | Speaker 5:

The first three episodes recorded 81.5 million viewing hours after its debut last Thursday. More than 28 million households watched at least a part of this series. Now the second batch of episodes is going to be released on Netflix tomorrow afternoon. So I think it's like 3 o'clock in the afternoon is when those three episodes drop. But I did notice that yesterday the Prince and Princess of Wales shared their family photo that's on their Christmas card this year in the wake of Megan and Harry's documentary.

00:21:09 - 00:21:13 | Speaker 2:

Oh, wait a second. Oh, you think that they're doing it for that reason? No, they always do it.

00:21:14 - 00:21:28 | Speaker 4:

No, they're 100% doing it on purpose. especially because Kate previewed three new outfits and two new pieces of jewelry at state events that she was clearly overdressed for while their country is facing a recession right now. They are trying to pull attention to this.

00:21:28 - 00:21:30 | Speaker 2:

Well, they do that all the time. Yeah, I mean, that's every day for that.

00:21:30 - 00:21:55 | Speaker 1:

That's another royal crown. Yeah. The big thing here, this is the test, it's a turning point for the two of them now because they did the Oprah special, then they did the podcast, now they're doing the Netflix show. Like, they've built a platform of two years of talking about their situation and kind of complaining that they were treated unfairly and how they really were squashed out of the royal family. Now they need to move forward. I feel like the whining at this point, we are got the story we all know.

00:21:55 - 00:21:56 | Speaker 5:

I wouldn't call it whining.

00:21:56 - 00:21:56 | Speaker 1:

Well, no.

00:21:57 - 00:21:57 | Speaker 5:

I think it's truth-telling.

00:21:58 - 00:22:16 | Speaker 1:

They have a legitimate right to tell those stories. I think it's good that they're telling that story and exposing the royal family. But now you decided to move to America and start something new. You've got to do something. You've got to, like, step forward and create some things, right, and create a new path. You can't continue for like five years To be doing these exposés

00:22:16 - 00:22:29 | Speaker 5:

And lastly, last month Actress Ellen Pompeo announced That she would be retiring From Grey's Anatomy After 19 seasons on the show And she says she could not be happier About her decision

00:22:29 - 00:22:48 | Speaker 3:

I feel super happy And I've loved a lot of the experience Listen, it's just, you know I gotta mix it up a little bit I'm 53, I gotta do something new Or I'm gonna literally turn into like Like, you know, you can't do the New York Times crossword puzzle every single day. I mean, 19 years, that's longer than people keep their kids in their house.

00:22:48 - 00:23:13 | Speaker 5:

That's a long run, yeah. She also talked in the same interview about something that I thought was really interesting. So back in 2018, she renewed her contract for Grey's. And I don't know if you guys remember this, but she fought for equal pay to what other male actors in her position were receiving. So in doing that, she became the highest paid actress on a TV drama. and she said not a lot of people were loving her because of that so many people not in my inner

00:23:13 - 00:23:36 | Speaker 3:

circle reached out to me and said this is amazing i mean icons but the people directly around me it's quiet as a mouse on set that day so when your life does change when you are courageous and fearless and speak out don't expect everybody to stand up and cheer for you because they don't

00:23:36 - 00:23:40 | Speaker 2:

whatever happened to izzy from that show whatever that was what's her name the actress that uh

00:23:40 - 00:23:45 | Speaker 5:

the blonde that was uh she was like katherine heigl katherine heigl so she i just saw her

00:23:45 - 00:23:56 | Speaker 2:

do an interview last week on like the today show or something she regrets like leaving that show like she did because remember she was like the height she did like a really bad show or bad

00:23:56 - 00:24:20 | Speaker 4:

movie well she's doing isn't she on firefly lane she is a big show she also just did an interview Recently talking about how She's been painted in a very weird way She's only stood up and advocated For herself and like she's not Nearly as nasty as everybody said She was in the media and like That's why you don't hear about her anymore She loves being a mom I was about to parrot like oh

00:24:20 - 00:24:26 | Speaker 1:

Remember she was difficult on the set and then I stopped And thought and was she or is that just the stories Like I don't remember the details

00:24:26 - 00:24:31 | Speaker 2:

Come on There's always a little truth behind some stories You don't think that she was difficult

00:24:31 - 00:24:35 | Speaker 4:

There might be, I don't know, but wouldn't we have heard more? I feel like she was attacked for a year.

00:24:35 - 00:24:37 | Speaker 2:

But wouldn't she have done more if that was the case?

00:24:37 - 00:24:40 | Speaker 4:

She's had a great career. She's actively working.

00:24:40 - 00:24:45 | Speaker 1:

You know who's really mad about the show coming to an end is the Fray, who only had one hit song. That's right.

00:24:45 - 00:24:51 | Speaker 5:

No, the Fray had a lot of hits on. It did? Yeah, and the show's not ending.

00:24:51 - 00:24:53 | Speaker 2:

It's just Ellen Pompeo leaving. Yes.

00:24:54 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 5:

All right, for all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page at MojoInTheMorning.com. Good morning.

00:24:59 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning.

00:25:00 - 00:25:02 | Speaker 3:

And another phone scam coming up in minutes.

00:25:03 - 00:25:05 | Speaker 1:

We're going to see how many questions we can get out this morning.

00:25:05 - 00:25:13 | Speaker 3:

You guys, you guys, you guys, great news. It's time for an official government survey. And when we mean official, we mean we're officially full of s**t.

00:25:13 - 00:25:17 | Speaker 1:

This country is going to s**t. You got it on Mojo.

00:25:17 - 00:25:19 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the Morning senseless survey.

00:25:22 - 00:25:41 | Speaker 2:

Hello? Hello, ma'am or sir. This is Bob Dobolina from the U.S. Senseless Bureau. You left a few answers blank in the last survey we mailed to you, and we were just following up. It should take only about 30 seconds because it's just three questions about issues that face American citizens today. Can we start with how many people currently reside in your home?

00:25:43 - 00:25:44 | Speaker 4:

Just one.

00:25:45 - 00:25:52 | Speaker 2:

Okay. And two questions left. On a scale of one to ten, how comfortable would you be letting Santa Claus view your Internet browsing history?

00:25:52 - 00:26:01 | Speaker 4:

I mean, if what I know about Santa Claus is true, he should already know what my internet browsing history is.

00:26:02 - 00:26:09 | Speaker 2:

Very good answer. Getting a vibe for what people are thinking right now. Will you be paying $8 a month to get the blue checkmark and verified on Twitter?

00:26:10 - 00:26:14 | Speaker 4:

Definitely not. You said these are questions for the Census Bureau?

00:26:15 - 00:26:17 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Just wondering why you wouldn't do that.

00:26:18 - 00:26:19 | Speaker 4:

Why would I?

00:26:19 - 00:26:44 | Speaker 2:

Well, for equality, so everyone can be equal and have free speech if they pay $8 a month. Right, and I'm pretty sure that's not how free speech works. Okay, we'll skip that question then. What term for gibberish do you prefer, gobbity-gook or mumbo-jumbo? This is definitely question four of three. Well, we didn't get an answer for the last one. I could skip both of those. We'll just wipe it fresh. And how about we go with, what do you think Stevie wonders?

00:26:46 - 00:26:48 | Speaker 4:

Probably what he's going to do with all his money.

00:26:48 - 00:26:57 | Speaker 2:

And do you think the washer and dryer are real friends or, like, are they just work friends? Who now? The washer and dryer in your laundry room.

00:26:58 - 00:27:01 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Yeah, so we have a very symbiotic relationship.

00:27:02 - 00:27:04 | Speaker 2:

Perfect. And would you buy eggnog-flavored cough syrup?

00:27:05 - 00:27:09 | Speaker 4:

No, I like neither eggnog nor cough syrup.

00:27:09 - 00:27:16 | Speaker 2:

All right, I asked the right woman. Do you believe there should be a federal law put into place prohibiting parents from creating TikTok videos with their children?

00:27:17 - 00:27:17 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

00:27:18 - 00:27:21 | Speaker 2:

And do you think charcuterie is just Lunchables that went to Harvard?

00:27:22 - 00:27:34 | Speaker 4:

I've made some charcuterie boards, and I think there's a little bit more effort and thought, hopefully, that goes into, and care, into making a charcuterie board than a mass-produced Lunchable.

00:27:34 - 00:27:40 | Speaker 2:

Wonderful. I love that that was the most detailed answer and the thing with which you spoke most passionately about.

00:27:40 - 00:27:42 | Speaker 4:

I love a charcuterie board.

00:27:42 - 00:27:46 | Speaker 2:

All right. Do you think it's fair that horses get farted on more than any other animal?

00:27:47 - 00:27:49 | Speaker 4:

All right, I think I'm going to be finished with this one.

00:27:49 - 00:27:53 | Speaker 2:

All right, last question. If bedbugs live in bed, where do cockroaches live?

00:27:54 - 00:27:58 | Speaker 4:

Okay, great. Bob Dabalina.

00:27:58 - 00:28:09 | Speaker 1:

Mr. Dabalina. Okay. More than 13 questions. 13 questions is exactly what Spike was able to get out from a person that sounds like a lot of fun to hang out with. I don't know.

00:28:09 - 00:28:24 | Speaker 3:

Hello, Mojo.

00:28:43 - 00:28:47 | Speaker 1:

Hello. So Ethan meet Tim. Tim meet Ethan.

00:28:48 - 00:28:48 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, Ethan.

00:28:49 - 00:29:17 | Speaker 1:

Let's start this contest. I'm going to lock you up in a soundproof area, Ethan. Let's see what happens here. Five questions. Whoever gets the most right wins. Tie always goes to the champion. Tim, where are you from? I'm from Lapeer. Welcome to the show, buddy. I appreciate you having us on there. And we love our friends in Lapeer. Five questions. Start with this one. This week, fans of this artist are getting another shot at tickets to the Eras Tour.

00:29:19 - 00:29:22 | Speaker 4:

Oh, shoot. Taylor Swift, I'd say.

00:29:22 - 00:30:22 | Speaker 1:

Question number two. Rapper Tory Lanez is on trial after being accused of shooting this female rapper. Oh, I don't know that one. Oh, my goodness. Really? Okay. All right. Question number three, actress Scarlett Johansson revealed that she felt groomed into becoming a bombshell actress during the first part of her career. Johansson plays which hero in the Marvel Universe? Oh, geez, I know that answer. It's hitting my tongue. Three seconds. All right. I'm going to have to go that one. Let that one go, too. All right, all right. Maybe nerves are getting to you. Question number four. Yeah, I am nervous. Question number four. All right, take a deep breath before I give you the next question. Go ahead. All right, question four. After new leadership cut most of the staff, the headquarters of Twitter is auctioning off office chairs, digital whiteboards, espresso machines, and more. Who is the new owner of Twitter?

00:30:23 - 00:30:24 | Speaker 2:

Elon Musk.

00:30:24 - 00:30:42 | Speaker 1:

And question number five, Janet Jackson announced that she is going on tour next year, and it will feature special guest Ludacris. Janet is the little sister of which king of pop? Michael Jackson. Let's bring the champ back from a soundproof area. That wasn't too hard, was it?

00:30:42 - 00:30:50 | Speaker 3:

Man, you really threw him some softballs at the end to help him out, didn't you? All right, he got three out of five, so he ended up redeeming himself. Not terrible.

00:30:51 - 00:31:01 | Speaker 1:

Three out of five, you can beat this, Ethan. Here we go. So question number one, this week fans of this artist are getting another shot at tickets to the Ares Tour.

00:31:02 - 00:31:04 | Speaker 3:

Taylor Swift. Yes. Of course, Wonder One.

00:31:04 - 00:31:11 | Speaker 1:

Question number two, rapper Tory Lanez is on trial after being accused of shooting this female rapper.

00:31:12 - 00:31:14 | Speaker 3:

Megan Thee Stallion. Yes. Who do you want?

00:31:14 - 00:31:28 | Speaker 1:

Question number three, actress Scarlett Johansson revealed that she felt groomed into becoming a bombshell actress During the first part of her career, Johansson played which hero in the Marvel Universe?

00:31:31 - 00:31:32 | Speaker 3:

Black Widow. Yep.

00:31:32 - 00:31:46 | Speaker 1:

Three to one. Question number four. After new leadership cut most of the staff, the headquarters of Twitter is auctioning off office chairs, digital whiteboards, espresso machines, and more. Who is the new owner of Twitter?

00:31:47 - 00:31:49 | Speaker 3:

Elon Musk. Yes.

00:31:49 - 00:32:03 | Speaker 1:

Four to two. And a perfect score if you get this one right. Janet Jackson announced that she is going on tour next year with a special guest, Ludacris. Janet is the sister of which king of pop? Michael Jackson.

00:32:03 - 00:32:09 | Speaker 2:

There it is. That is correct. Yes. Perfect score. Five to three.

00:32:10 - 00:32:49 | Speaker 1:

Congratulations. Your third win in a row. Tim. Yeah. I sensed that you were a little nervous. I could hear it in your voice. I should have calmed you down in the beginning. You probably would have gotten those other two, but it wouldn't have mattered because you would have lost with the tie, but we got a parting gift for you, okay? Thank you, sir. I appreciate it. Hey, we appreciate you so much for listening. Hang on the phone. We're going to set you up with four-pack of tickets to Toledo Zoo for lights before Christmas. Tickets are on sale right now at ToledoZoo.org. Enjoy that. Ethan, tomorrow another challenger will be taking you on, okay? Awesome. Thank you. Thank you. Hang on the phone, guys.

00:32:49 - 00:32:51 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the mornings, 5 at 6.55.

00:32:52 - 00:33:45 | Speaker 1:

Great to have you guys with us. It's Mojo, Spike, Shannon, Megan, Mike, our producer KP, Reese, Lydia, and Katie. Everybody here wishing you the best Christmas. Thank you so much for being part of our show. In just a matter of about 10, 12 minutes, we're going to grant a Christmas wish in Toledo for a single mom who is battling illness, and we need to come together for her, so you'll hear that. First, though, I want to get to Five Lies to Tell Your Mom. We do it on Wednesdays. If you have ever wanted to do Five Lies, now would be your chance. You can text MOM to 95500 and maybe get on a future Five Lies to Tell Your Mom. It's where we give you the lies, and then we call your mom up. You've got to tell her them, make her believe them, And then if she stays on until the very end, she wins a prize.

00:33:46 - 00:33:47 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:33:49 - 00:33:50 | Unknown:

Sweet.

00:33:51 - 00:33:52 | Speaker 2:

Five lies to tell your mom.

00:33:52 - 00:34:04 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Brian, it's five lies to tell your mom. Are you ready? Yes, I am. Brian, I'm a little worried here. I'm hoping that we don't ruin your relationship that you have with your mother.

00:34:05 - 00:34:07 | Speaker 3:

I hope so, too. That would not be good.

00:34:07 - 00:34:08 | Speaker 1:

That would not be good.

00:34:08 - 00:34:10 | Speaker 3:

This is too funny. This is great.

00:34:10 - 00:34:32 | Speaker 1:

All right, but here's the thing. Mom's going to understand at the end that she's going to get a prize out of this deal. We're going to give you five lies. We made these up, and we're going to give you a chance to try to do a good acting job here. Lie number one that you have to tell your mom, say, Mom, I didn't realize how much I had to drink last night. Oh, God. Lie number two.

00:34:32 - 00:34:36 | Speaker 4:

Say the bar was only 10 minutes away, so I thought I would be fine driving myself home.

00:34:37 - 00:34:40 | Speaker 1:

She's going to kill me. I'm dead. Lie number three.

00:34:40 - 00:34:44 | Speaker 4:

I hit a parked car on my street and drove away.

00:34:46 - 00:34:52 | Speaker 3:

Lie number four. Someone must have seen it and called the cops. Oh, God.

00:34:52 - 00:34:57 | Speaker 1:

And lie number five. The cops showed up and arrested me.

00:34:57 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 3:

Oh, God.

00:35:00 - 00:35:11 | Speaker 1:

When we call your mom, I'll jump on in the beginning and say I'm calling from the actual jail and that this is your one phone call. Do you think mom would freak out if you were actually calling from jail?

00:35:12 - 00:35:12 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

00:35:13 - 00:35:42 | Speaker 1:

Okay. All right. Let's see what happens. Let's see what mom does. Hold on one second. Okay. Through all five lies and mom wins a prize. Hello? County jail calling. You have a call from O'Brien.

00:35:44 - 00:35:45 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

00:35:45 - 00:35:46 | Speaker 1:

Will you accept?

00:35:47 - 00:35:48 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

00:35:48 - 00:35:49 | Speaker 1:

Go ahead.

00:35:51 - 00:36:16 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Mom. What's going on? How are you doing? Are you there? Yeah, I'm in a little bit of trouble right now. What's going on? Well, me and some buddies went out last night, and I didn't realize that I had a little bit too much to drink last night. And the bar was only 10 minutes from the house, so I thought I would just drive myself home.

00:36:17 - 00:36:18 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

00:36:19 - 00:36:32 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and I ended up, when I was calling onto the street, I ended up hitting a parked car, and I didn't know what to do, and I didn't want to have to call the cops and get in trouble for it because I was drinking, so I just drove away.

00:36:33 - 00:36:36 | Speaker 2:

You had left there? You didn't put anything on the windshield or nothing?

00:36:36 - 00:36:42 | Speaker 3:

No, I just drove away. I just slammed into the back of the car.

00:36:45 - 00:36:46 | Speaker 2:

You got to go back there.

00:36:48 - 00:36:51 | Speaker 3:

Well, I can't now. Tell them. I'm in jail.

00:36:52 - 00:36:53 | Speaker 2:

What do you mean you're in jail?

00:36:53 - 00:37:05 | Speaker 3:

Well, someone must have, like, seen it or something because they showed up at work this morning, the cops did, and they seen a couple of open bottles of alcohol in the back of my car, and they came in and arrested me.

00:37:06 - 00:37:07 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God, Ryan.

00:37:08 - 00:37:12 | Speaker 3:

I don't know what to do. I didn't want to call Dad because he would just leave me in here.

00:37:13 - 00:37:28 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to leave you in there. Why? You are drinking and driving. How many times have I said? If you need a ride, you call me. I don't care what time of day it is.

00:37:29 - 00:37:35 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I know. It was only two minutes. It was right down the road. I thought it was a good time.

00:37:35 - 00:37:37 | Speaker 2:

You could have killed someone. You could have killed yourself.

00:37:39 - 00:37:41 | Speaker 3:

But I didn't. I just wrecked my car. That is it.

00:37:41 - 00:37:43 | Speaker 2:

No, you happen to be lucky this time.

00:37:43 - 00:37:45 | Speaker 1:

You have a minute left on this call?

00:37:47 - 00:37:49 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so are you, like, leaving me in here?

00:37:49 - 00:37:55 | Speaker 2:

You can sit there, and I'm going to call your dad, and I'm going to figure it out. You said f***ing county?

00:37:56 - 00:37:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. You better call. I don't know how much today it is.

00:37:58 - 00:38:01 | Speaker 2:

You better call, and I come pick you up today. Okay.

00:38:02 - 00:38:03 | Speaker 1:

Mom?

00:38:04 - 00:38:04 | Speaker 2:

What?

00:38:05 - 00:38:07 | Speaker 1:

You have 45 seconds left on this call.

00:38:09 - 00:38:10 | Speaker 2:

Who's this?

00:38:12 - 00:38:13 | Speaker 1:

This is the f***ing county jail.

00:38:14 - 00:38:19 | Speaker 2:

Okay. What do I have to do To get him out of jail

00:38:19 - 00:38:24 | Speaker 1:

Well The first thing you have to do is promise that you're not going to kill him

00:38:24 - 00:38:27 | Speaker 2:

I can't make that promise to you sir

00:38:27 - 00:38:28 | Speaker 1:

Okay

00:38:28 - 00:38:30 | Speaker 2:

He can sit there to be honest with you He can sit there

00:38:30 - 00:38:36 | Speaker 1:

How long will you keep him Well why how long do you want us to keep him

00:38:36 - 00:38:41 | Speaker 2:

You can keep him for a week He needs to learn a lesson This is unacceptable to me

00:38:41 - 00:38:55 | Speaker 1:

Unfortunately we can't do that But we do have some good news for you. This is not really the jail calling. This is the Mojo in the Morning Show, and you've been on five lies to tell your mom.

00:38:56 - 00:38:58 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Are you kidding me?

00:39:01 - 00:39:03 | Speaker 3:

She must have had a heart attack.

00:39:03 - 00:39:06 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Brian, I'm going to kill you.

00:39:08 - 00:39:10 | Speaker 1:

What did you think of your son's acting skills?

00:39:11 - 00:39:20 | Speaker 2:

He did good. I was ready until I was shaking. I thought, oh, my gosh. Because I tell them they're drinking and driving so he can call me. Oh, my gosh.

00:39:20 - 00:39:23 | Speaker 4:

Right? You taught him so well, you couldn't believe this was actually happening.

00:39:24 - 00:39:26 | Speaker 2:

I see the Christmas tree. Cars here, yeah, cars here, so we know she's here. You saw lights or none?

00:45:25 - 00:45:31 | Speaker 2:

Maybe this is a Toledo thing. She sleeps like Megan. You can't wake her up.

00:45:33 - 00:45:34 | Speaker 3:

Something just turned on?

00:45:35 - 00:45:35 | Speaker 1:

00:46:40 - 00:47:00 | Speaker 2:

Hey, we have something special for you today. We received a beautiful letter about you and your two babies for our breaking and entering Christmas wish. and your beautiful mom is going to read you that letter okay all right dear mojo in the morning

00:47:00 - 00:48:20 | Speaker 1:

my name is renee wysocki and i'm writing to you to nominate my daughter melissa for your breaking and entering christmas wish melissa is an amazing single mom with two young children. Unfortunately, my incredible daughter suffers from MS. She does her best to work and take care of her kids and get through each and every day. But recently, she had a relapse and ended up in the hospital. And this relapse was so bad that her neurologist has advised her to rest at home and not go back to work till February. That news was devastating to her, as she desperately needs this job to keep food on the table and a roof over her family's heads right now. And to make matters even worse, the company she works for let her go. Melissa currently has a furnace that isn't working either, and she's behind on her mortgage. Christmas for my grandchildren is just not going to happen And I know you can make it happen, Mojo Please make this little family's Christmas a magical one Thank you and sincerely, Renee

00:48:20 - 00:48:40 | Speaker 2:

Wow Your loving mother and, of course, your loving father wanted to make sure that you and their grandbabies are taken care of this Christmas, and that's why we're granting a Christmas wish for you this morning, Melissa.

00:48:41 - 00:48:42 | Unknown:

Thank you.

00:48:42 - 00:48:44 | Speaker 2:

We're bringing Christmas to your house.

00:48:45 - 00:48:46 | Speaker 1:

That's lovely.

00:48:48 - 00:48:51 | Speaker 2:

First off, how are you feeling? How are you doing?

00:48:51 - 00:48:55 | Speaker 3:

I have my days. I have my days. Still very weak.

00:48:56 - 00:49:00 | Speaker 2:

I know it's got to be tough, but you stay strong for those children, don't you?

00:49:01 - 00:49:01 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah.

00:49:02 - 00:49:29 | Speaker 2:

I can't believe that being out on disability like this, that a work would do that to you too. That's just awful during the holidays. Well, we're coming together as a community. We know how strong everybody in Toledo are about protecting their own, and that's why we're going to protect you, and we're going to make sure that we bring Christmas in. And, Mike, you got all kinds of good gifts that we can carry into that house?

00:49:30 - 00:49:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, we've just lined the living room floor with Christmas gifts for you. Why don't you come take a look right over here?

00:49:45 - 00:49:49 | Speaker 2:

There's so much there. Mike, tell everybody what we got today.

00:49:50 - 00:49:55 | Speaker 3:

Why don't we let the queen of all this tell you. Lydia, what do we have here for the little ones?

00:49:55 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, we have a lot of goodies. So I know AJ has been saving up.

00:50:00 - 00:50:15 | Speaker 4:

for a digital clock so we got him his very own digital clock we got um we got here a Nintendo Switch we have Minecraft blankets we have some Minecraft games for the Switch

00:50:15 - 00:50:30 | Speaker 3:

and that's all just for Austin and there's so much more in there too for Austin Austin's eight years old Austin your baby do you cuddle with your baby all the time on the couch yes of course Yeah.

00:50:31 - 00:50:38 | Speaker 6:

That's so cute that he was saving up for his own alarm clocks. He liked the idea of setting his own clock and being responsible.

00:50:39 - 00:50:57 | Speaker 5:

They told me a story when we first got here that his school is around the corner from the house, and he's so excited to get to school but didn't have a clock. So he thought he was late one day, and he left in an hour early. It was like an hour early, and it was raining out. They couldn't find him, and he was at the school, but this is going to help so much.

00:50:57 - 00:51:02 | Speaker 3:

Wow. We didn't forget about Tiara. Lydia, what do we got for Tiara?

00:51:04 - 00:51:25 | Speaker 4:

Tiara, we have some goodies for you. We have an iPad. She loves art, so we got her her very own art set, an easel, some paints. We got her some candles. I heard she loves A Nightmare Before Christmas, so I definitely bought her a soft calendar set. We got her that, and we got her some book sets for Harry Potter and anime.

00:51:25 - 00:51:26 | Speaker 3:

That's amazing.

00:51:26 - 00:51:27 | Speaker 4:

She'll never be bored.

00:51:28 - 00:51:39 | Speaker 3:

Wow. And Melissa, we didn't forget about you because we know with Battlin MS, it's got to be a struggle just to try to stay comforted. So we wanted to make sure that we took care of you with some comforting items.

00:51:39 - 00:52:04 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, we have all the household goods you so desperately need, but also we're going to give you a lot of personal care items to spoil you. And I'm not going to get into the whole list. There's a lot of things, personal usage things and candles and comfort things and then slippers. but Xfinity is going to give you a laptop so you can also work from home while you're on bed rest and also keep track of those kitties in school and do all the things you need to do.

00:52:04 - 00:52:23 | Speaker 2:

And we know that you're behind on some bills and we can't let that be the case this Christmas. So we are going to write you a check for $2,500 and hopefully that's going to help with some of those bills and we'll get you all caught up with your mortgage.

00:52:23 - 00:52:33 | Speaker 3:

And Megan, that's coming from our good friends. I want you to introduce you to some great folks that are unbelievable advertisers of our station, 92.5 KISS FM.

00:52:34 - 00:52:34 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:52:34 - 00:52:35 | Speaker 3:

Jay Foster Jewelers.

00:52:35 - 00:52:41 | Speaker 1:

Phil, Stan, and Anthony are out there to help you out from Jay Foster's at the Shots of Law and Timbers in Maumee. So thank you to those guys.

00:52:42 - 00:52:44 | Speaker 3:

Wait a second. All three are there?

00:52:44 - 00:52:45 | Speaker 5:

I believe all three.

00:52:45 - 00:52:46 | Speaker 3:

What's up, guys? How are you?

00:52:46 - 00:52:51 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. We're so happy to be a part of it. Merry Christmas, everyone. Merry Christmas.

00:52:51 - 00:53:03 | Speaker 3:

Merry Christmas. Melissa? Melissa. We didn't forget about you, Melissa. We want to make sure that you have a great Christmas, and we want you to know that next year is going to be your year, okay?

00:53:04 - 00:53:05 | Speaker 5:

Thank you. Thank you.

00:53:06 - 00:53:09 | Speaker 3:

We love you so much. Love you, too.

00:53:10 - 00:53:27 | Speaker 6:

We have two truckloads to unload there from the smallest gifts, hundreds of dollars in Kroger gift cards. You can go down the street to get your groceries, to the biggest TV and the boxes that we didn't even have bags and gift wrap to cover.

00:53:27 - 00:53:41 | Speaker 3:

And Grandma, we also just got a text in from a company that says that they're a heating and cooling company and they want to make sure that your babies are warm. They're going to get in contact with us, so we'll call them and get in contact to get that heat going, okay?

00:53:42 - 00:53:44 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you guys are awesome. You guys are fantastic.

00:53:44 - 00:54:02 | Speaker 3:

We love you. All right, well, listen, it's early in the morning. I know that. And usually we, you know, don't celebrate Christmas, you know, a full month, you know, ahead of time like we do with these breaking out of Christmas wishes. But we want you to have the spirit of the season in that beautiful house of yours. Okay.

00:54:03 - 00:54:04 | Speaker 5:

Thank you. Thank you.

00:54:05 - 00:54:14 | Speaker 3:

Merry, Merry Christmas. Mike, Mike, you and you and those those wild men from Jay Foster Jewelers. Let's get everybody together. Let's have a party. Come on.

00:54:15 - 00:54:40 | Speaker 5:

All right. All right. Let's get back in the living room. I know we might have some people sleeping still, right? My son. Oh, he can wake up. It's time for him to wake up. All right, on the count of three, guys, I want to give a big Merry Christmas and get as loud as possible because we're going to wake the little one up. You guys ready? One, two, three. Merry Christmas!

00:54:44 - 00:54:48 | Speaker 3:

We'll get you caught up on what's trending. We've got a scam coming up here in just a little bit. Shannon, what's up?

00:54:49 - 00:55:02 | Speaker 2:

Well, Jay Leno opening up for the first time about the accident that left him with pretty severe burns to his face and his body. He, excuse me, sat down. There we go. I don't know what just happened there. He sat down for an interview with Hoda Kotb on the Today Show.

00:55:03 - 00:55:27 | Speaker 4:

Well, it was a 1907 white steam car. The fuel line was clogged, so I was underneath it trying to clog. And I said, blow some air through the line, and then suddenly, boom, I got a face full of gas. And then the pilot light jumped, and my face caught on fire. And I said to my friend, I said, Dave, I'm on fire. And then, oh, my God, Dave, my friend, pulled me out and jumped on top of me and kind of smothered the fire.

00:55:27 - 00:55:34 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, he was first taken to a local hospital, and then he was transferred to that Grossman Burn Center in L.A. where he remained for a couple of weeks, and it was a mixture of second and third degree burns.

00:55:34 - 00:55:38 | Speaker 3:

Look at how good he looks. I don't know if that's all makeup or what the story is. He really does.

00:55:38 - 00:55:39 | Speaker 2:

He's on right now, yeah.

00:55:39 - 00:55:47 | Speaker 3:

Because when he walked out of the hospital, you could see his hand looked like it was all burned up and his face. But now he's on with Hoda at this moment.

00:55:47 - 00:55:50 | Speaker 2:

They got to get a friend with him. Yes. Right? Yeah.

00:55:50 - 00:56:05 | Speaker 3:

He likes to sit there and just play with those cars. I'm telling you. Jay, you do what I do, and you don't get hurt. You lay on the couch and you just watch White Lotus and you're all right. Nothing can happen. Maybe a Charlie horse. I've been just grabbing a banana or something that takes care of that.

00:56:05 - 00:56:15 | Speaker 2:

Legendary producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, confirming the rumor that discussions are happening to bring Johnny Depp back in a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

00:56:16 - 00:56:22 | Speaker 4:

We're still working on it. Nothing's definitive yet, but we continue to take baby steps getting towards a screenplay.

00:56:22 - 00:56:27 | Speaker 3:

By the way, if they bring him back, if they don't talk about a grumpy somehow in there.

00:56:27 - 00:56:35 | Speaker 4:

I thought that some human being had actually dropped a grumpy.

00:56:35 - 00:56:37 | Speaker 2:

They have to. They have to.

00:56:37 - 00:56:39 | Speaker 3:

They got to have a character named Grumpy.

00:56:40 - 00:56:41 | Speaker 1:

Grumpy the Pirate.

00:56:42 - 00:57:10 | Speaker 2:

Elon Musk is no longer the world's richest man, according to Forbes. That French business guy, Bernard Arnault, is now the world's wealthiest person with an estimated fortune of $188.6 billion. Elon Musk has only got about $177 billion in the bank. Poor guy. His wealth is down more than $120 billion so far this year, and Tesla stock is to blame for that.

00:57:10 - 00:57:14 | Speaker 3:

Wait, what does the French dude do? I've never heard of him before. I have no idea.

00:57:14 - 00:57:21 | Speaker 2:

Wait, what's his name? Bernard Arnault. A-R-N-A-U-L-T. He's Louis Vuitton, right?

00:57:21 - 00:57:25 | Speaker 3:

Is that what it is? I don't know. I believe he's the... I don't know. Louis Vuitton. Yeah.

00:57:26 - 00:57:59 | Speaker 2:

We talked about this earlier in the week. Britney Spears just ripped a Jack-in-the-box worker, a new one, for being nice to her. And she did this on Instagram. She'd been driving around. She was crying. Decided she wanted a cheeseburger and a milkshake. So she went through the Jack-in-the-box drive-thru. but she said she left very angry after the quote unquote big man at the effing window offered her pity and told her it was going to be okay while he gave her her order well that worker is now talking and he said he was just trying to offer her for some comfort i was working my shift at

00:57:59 - 00:58:40 | Speaker 1:

jack-in-the-box i was working the drive-through and this lady rolls up to my window okay so she pays whatever blah blah she's super sweet but i honestly did not recognize her i did not know who she was as i was handing her the bag she was like wiping away her tears so i was like oh i said something like oh everything's going to be okay i was like oh it's going to be okay girl something like that and after i said that she side-eyed me and she was like thank you and i felt so awkward after i said that i was like oh my god why did i just say that and i look at her and for some reason when she put on her sunglasses i'm like thinking to myself like oh my god that's britney spears and then she drove off huh and then why he sounds like a nice guy didn't sound like he was

00:58:40 - 00:58:41 | Speaker 3:

like trying to offend her or anything like that.

00:58:42 - 00:59:49 | Speaker 2:

No, no, yeah. And lastly, doctors are warning people about Brazilian butt lifts or BBLs saying they can be deadly, duh. Especially when women travel overseas in search of a deal to get their BBL. Do you guys know that more than 61,000 BBLs were done in the United States in the past year? Up almost 40% from the previous year. Hell yeah. And that doesn't include people who travel abroad to get their BBLs for a lower price. Now, it is the riskiest cosmetic procedure that you can undergo, by the way, with one in every 3,000 patients actually dying from complications. And so celebrities like Cardi B, who have famously received the surgery, remember she, in fact, just revealed that she had 95% of her BBL implants removed over concerns about her long-term health, and she's been warning fans against doing the procedure, saying, do not do it. Like, it is not safe at all. These procedures are already dangerous when done by proper licensed doctors here in the states. But if you're traveling out of the country to do it cheaper, improper sanitation increases the risk of infection.

00:59:49 - 00:59:51 | Speaker 3:

And then you've got to fly all the way back home on that butt.

00:59:51 - 00:59:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, and you can't sit.

00:59:53 - 00:59:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so what do you do? You can't sit on it.

00:59:54 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 2:

They give you like a thing that you have to sit inside of. It's like this weird inner tube thing.

01:00:00 - 01:00:06 | Speaker 5:

Moral of the story, if that's what you asked for for Christmas, don't do it.

01:00:07 - 01:00:10 | Speaker 3:

Don't do it. Or think about it just a little bit harder.

01:00:10 - 01:00:11 | Speaker 5:

God made you beautiful.

01:00:12 - 01:00:13 | Speaker 3:

I want one so bad.

01:00:13 - 01:00:18 | Speaker 2:

But that doesn't scare you that the mortality rate of the surgeries is higher than heart surgery.

01:00:18 - 01:00:29 | Speaker 3:

It's not even the mortality rate. It's the complications that can be like this fat embolization that can happen where fat from the injection enters your bloodstream and then it travels to your lungs or your heart. I mean, that's no bueno.

01:00:30 - 01:00:30 | Speaker 5:

Wow.

Free groceries coming up here in a second, plus a scam. It's Mojo in the Morning. Oh, got to push a button there.

01:01:43 - 01:01:43 | Unknown:

Hey!

01:01:44 - 01:02:03 | Speaker 5:

All right. Mojo in the Morning Show. Yeah. Okay, so Shannon's got a topic to bring up, and we're going to do it here right now. The worst Christmas bonus. Not the best Christmas bonus, the worst Christmas bonus.

01:02:03 - 01:02:08 | Speaker 2:

We're sensitive to the fact that a lot of people don't even get Christmas bonuses, and that's not so much what this is about.

01:02:08 - 01:02:14 | Speaker 3:

No, because we don't really get bonuses here. At least we haven't in the past couple of years.

01:02:14 - 01:02:24 | Speaker 2:

We get gifts once in a while, but this is interesting because it really is a personal twist on a boss here. that when I heard this story, I was like, oh, that's not a good move.

01:02:24 - 01:02:52 | Speaker 3:

So one of my guy friends got handed an envelope at work the other day by his boss. And his boss was like, you know, this is your Christmas bonus. And so my friend was like, oh my gosh, didn't even expect to get a bonus this year. Thank you so much. Thanked his boss for his generosity. But he didn't open the envelope until he got home later in the evening. And when he did, he was kind of miffed. And he's like, look, I am thankful for even being thought of, okay?

01:02:53 - 01:02:54 | Speaker 5:

Or even having a job, probably, right?

01:02:54 - 01:03:31 | Speaker 3:

Or having a job, yes, yes. But he opened the envelope, not even having any idea what this bonus was all about. It was a $50 gift certificate. Really nice, $50. That's a lot. A $50 gift certificate to the Honey Baked Ham. Ooh, I'll take it. Again, he appreciated the sentiment. I love Honey Baked Ham. We both do. I do, too. I love it. Problem is, his boss had just given this big speech to him about, really to the company, about getting to know all of his employees better and creating meaningful connections with his employees. My friend is vegan.

01:03:32 - 01:03:32 | Unknown:

Oh.

01:03:33 - 01:03:35 | Speaker 3:

So he's like, there's literally.

01:03:35 - 01:03:36 | Speaker 5:

He can get mashed potatoes there.

01:03:37 - 01:03:41 | Speaker 3:

Nope. They put dairy in there. Oh, crap. There is literally nothing on the Honey Baked Ham menu.

01:03:42 - 01:03:47 | Speaker 5:

Nothing at all. Everything's got. How about bread? Maybe some lettuce. He can get bread. Maybe some lettuce.

01:03:48 - 01:03:48 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

01:03:48 - 01:03:50 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. It's funny.

01:03:50 - 01:03:53 | Speaker 3:

It's literally the worst Christmas bonus.

01:03:54 - 01:04:03 | Speaker 2:

Plus, they say about one in 15 people in America are now living a vegan lifestyle. So it's like you got to assume some people in your workforce are not going to appreciate that gift.

01:04:03 - 01:04:10 | Speaker 3:

Also adding insult to injury was the fact that his boss had just given a speech to the employees about getting to know everybody better.

01:04:11 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I thought that was great. It's funny. Some people would probably Look side eye at some of the gifts that we've gotten Over the years But I always love them I always love when we would get the Target gift card Oh I love a Target gift card Because you can always use a Target gift card There's nothing better than that I would say the best bonus That I have ever gotten in my entire life Was when I was doing Morning radio in Tucson, Arizona And my general manager Debbie Wagner gave everybody on the staff a hotel stay. It was trade, but at a five-star resort in Tucson. It was called the Westin La Paloma. And we all got an overnight weekend stay that we could use at any time that we wanted.

01:05:00 - 01:05:05 | Speaker 7:

with a spa day the next day. So everybody on the staff. But here's the wildest part.

01:05:05 - 01:05:06 | Speaker 6:

I would die.

01:05:06 - 01:05:35 | Speaker 7:

Here's the wildest part about the whole thing. One of the guys that was on my staff, Jeff Dollar, was helping people resell theirs. He was trying to make extra money by helping people resell them because he would find friends of his because some people were like, I don't want to stay in a hotel. They didn't want to do that at all, which I think is a wonderful gift. So what he would do is, and this is pre-throw something up online and you'd be able to sell it. He would just go and he would like randomly sell it to people that he knew

01:05:35 - 01:05:37 | Speaker 6:

that would want it. That's very Jeff.

01:05:37 - 01:05:39 | Speaker 7:

Isn't that funny? I could totally see Jeff doing that.

01:05:40 - 01:05:46 | Speaker 6:

I would love that today. Oh yeah. Like if they did that with downtown Detroit places? Oh yeah. That would be amazing.

01:05:46 - 01:05:56 | Speaker 8:

Well even as far as like 20, 30 years ago a lot of financial companies they would refer to the Christmas bonus as the 13th month because they would give you an extra paycheck or something. Right.

01:05:56 - 01:06:03 | Speaker 7:

Well, obviously, the auto companies always had great bonuses back in the day.

01:06:03 - 01:06:25 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, the year-end bonuses were typically way higher. Now, some people just know them to be non-existent as corporations try and increase profits and don't take care of the little man as often. But it's also, you know, some companies and industries have been through some tough times in the last couple years. But if you're looking to retain employees, I feel like that's a good way to keep them from running early 2023.

01:06:25 - 01:06:30 | Speaker 6:

Somebody just texted in that they got gifted Glade plug-ins as their Christmas bonus.

01:06:31 - 01:06:33 | Speaker 7:

That's a bad one. Sarah?

01:06:34 - 01:06:35 | Speaker 3:

Hi.

01:06:35 - 01:06:36 | Speaker 7:

Hi, what's up?

01:06:36 - 01:06:56 | Speaker 3:

My now husband, he also, him and many of his coworkers are strict vegetarians and also received a honey-baked ham gift certificate. They had no idea what to do with it. A lot of them aren't even from the country, so we're very confused by it.

01:06:56 - 01:06:56 | Speaker 7:

Oh, wow.

01:06:57 - 01:07:01 | Speaker 6:

Now, you can get veggies there. But if you're vegan, the issue is they put butter in them.

01:07:02 - 01:07:06 | Speaker 7:

You can sell them to Megan and I. Megan and I love Honey Vegan. Jennifer, what did you get?

01:07:07 - 01:07:25 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Hi, everybody. Good morning. Good morning. Merry Christmas. Our company gave all of us, and this is a big company, like a big local company in medical, and they gave us all a frozen turkey. and you had like a time slot to go outside and pick it up from this big truck and someone stole the turkey truck.

01:07:26 - 01:07:27 | Speaker 8:

Oh my gosh.

01:07:27 - 01:07:35 | Speaker 4:

No. So basically, I left because my husband gets this like big bonus and I'm like, oh, I get a frozen turkey, but like we didn't get it this year.

01:07:36 - 01:07:43 | Speaker 7:

They stole the turkey truck. Wouldn't it be funny if it was one of the employees? They're like, I'm taking them all. What's up, Sophie? Sophia?

01:07:45 - 01:07:45 | Speaker 5:

Hey.

01:07:46 - 01:07:47 | Speaker 7:

Hey, what was your bonus?

01:07:47 - 01:07:51 | Speaker 5:

Our Christmas bonus was a bottle of lotion from Bath and Body Works.

01:07:51 - 01:07:52 | Speaker 7:

Oh, wow. No.

01:07:53 - 01:08:13 | Speaker 5:

What scent? A bottle of lotion. Vanilla Bean Noel. There's different scents, but I'm allergic to lotions and sprays and stuff. So every year, I would just give it to my sister or to a resident because I'm like, what are we supposed to do with this? But that's all we got. Doesn't it almost feel more disrespectful than getting nothing at all? Yeah, it's a nursing home.

01:08:13 - 01:08:18 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. It's probably free samples, too, that are like the counter samples that they have at all times.

01:08:18 - 01:08:19 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, they were small bottles.

01:08:19 - 01:08:29 | Speaker 8:

You say better than nothing at all, Megan. One of my first radio companies gave us all, the Christmas bonus was a Christmas ornament of the company logo.

01:08:29 - 01:08:31 | Speaker 6:

Oh, God. No, thank you. And I was like, oh, thank you.

01:08:31 - 01:08:34 | Speaker 8:

You want me to advertise my job on my own Christmas tree? That's a wonderful bonus.

01:08:35 - 01:08:42 | Speaker 6:

This texter said, we got a $1.99 hot cocoa bomb this year as our Christmas. Merry Christmas.

01:08:42 - 01:08:43 | Speaker 7:

What's up, Jess?

01:08:44 - 01:08:45 | Speaker 2:

Hey.

01:08:45 - 01:08:45 | Speaker 7:

Hi.

01:08:46 - 01:08:57 | Speaker 2:

So we used to get company logos, sweatshirts, and shirts, and all kinds of company merch. And then I was the controller for the company. I had to write it all off as advertising expense.

01:08:58 - 01:09:04 | Speaker 7:

Oh, no. Well, so the employees didn't even realize that that was the case. No. Yeah.

01:09:04 - 01:09:05 | Speaker 2:

It was terrible.

01:09:06 - 01:09:17 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. Somebody told me that you have to pay taxes on your bonuses. Yeah. That's now the big thing. the companies uh even our big company that make you pay taxes on it what's up someone just said

01:09:17 - 01:09:22 | Speaker 8:

they actually text in that they got a 25 meyer gift card which was in just adjusted in their

01:09:22 - 01:09:40 | Speaker 1:

paycheck equals 17 yeah uh brock what's up hey mojo um i uh actually own a small assisted living facility out in west olive it's called pine ridge assisted living yeah and i just recently um gave my employees a $1,000 bonus.

01:09:41 - 01:09:43 | Speaker 6:

Geez, can I work for you? That's wonderful.

01:09:44 - 01:09:48 | Speaker 7:

You need a club DJ or anybody there? Honestly, I'm sure everybody's

01:09:48 - 01:09:54 | Speaker 6:

so thankful. I'll make the morning announcements. Can I host Bingo? Yeah, go ahead. I'll come with you.

01:09:55 - 01:09:56 | Speaker 5:

I've always wanted to.

01:09:57 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 7:

There's a buddy of mine who owns a company, and what he

01:10:00 - 01:10:39 | Speaker 1:

did for his employees, which I thought was really cool was, and it doesn't really cost them, is he gave everybody three extra days off the next year. That's great. So he said to them, he goes, here's the deal. I'm going to give you three extra days off. He said, you have to use them during these months, and it was all of the summer months. That's a great one. But he basically said, so that was kind of a cool bonus. And then the IRS can't figure out what's going on. They can't get their grimy fingers on it. Hey, we want to give you a cool prize from our friends over at Zot Ford. Steve Gabara and everybody at Zot Ford thanks you for their business that you've given to them over the years. Megan, they love you for what you talk about with them on the air.

01:10:39 - 01:10:41 | Speaker 3:

I love him. He's going to be my future ex-husband.

01:10:42 - 01:11:16 | Speaker 1:

Two listeners right now, the 95th and the 105th callers at 844-MOJO-LIVE are getting your Christmas meal paid for by Zot Ford. 01:11:36 - 01:11:43 | Speaker 2:

Oh, how am I doing? If I was a bird, I'd fly into a ceiling fan. But you know what? This is my job. I've got to make some money, so I'm doing some quick questions here.

01:11:44 - 01:11:45 | Speaker 3:

Can I ask who is this?

01:11:46 - 01:12:01 | Speaker 2:

01:12:08 - 01:12:12 | Speaker 3:

So last night was a festive night in the Mojo household. Hi, Charles.

01:17:51 - 01:18:40 | Speaker 1:

You're a beautiful, sexy mom. You're a beautiful, sexy wife. I want to talk to you about something, okay? And I don't know if this happens in other people's homes. But Chelsea will not let me do two things Christmas-related. Number one, she never lets me wrap gifts. She doesn't trust me, I guess, wrapping gifts, okay? Number two, which was what happened last night, She will not let me decorate the Christmas tree. And I don't understand why it is that in every household, there's always like people coming together with their family and they're decorating Christmas trees as a family, hanging the tinsel and hanging, you know, the lights and all the rest of this stuff. And you won't even let me touch the damn thing.

01:18:41 - 01:18:47 | Speaker 2:

Well, I guess the first question would be, Chelsea, were there prior crimes that actually attributed

01:18:47 - 01:19:19 | Speaker 3:

to this policy being put in place well one year i was really really really really sick at christmas and i asked him to wrap a couple of gifts and i can be a little bit ocd with the way so that's my own fault but i came out on christmas morning and i mean he basically just threw the roll of wrapping paper on there with a little bit of tape it was okay all right and that's just my thing and by the way if you want to wrap them i have a ton you can wrap this year

01:19:19 - 01:19:44 | Speaker 1:

okay all right what about the tree you won't let me touch the tree so we luke and i pulled the tree out of the basement we got it out of the crawl space and we bring the tree up and i said oh great okay uh we're going to decorate the christmas tree and chelsea goes no i'm putting it together and then the tree we did not get decorated like it did not get decorated at all And Chelsea's going to Joe's Jingle Ball on Friday down in Tampa

01:19:44 - 01:19:48 | Speaker 3:

And leaving today So I had to put the Christmas tree up last night

01:19:48 - 01:19:51 | Speaker 1:

So the tree has no decorations on it right now

01:19:51 - 01:19:52 | Speaker 3:

It looks beautiful

01:19:52 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 1:

Our tree is barren And I said, well, why don't Luke and I decorate the tree? No! What do you mean, no? No, we're fine

01:20:00 - 01:20:01 | Speaker 2:

You don't trust us decorating the tree?

01:20:02 - 01:20:11 | Speaker 6:

No. It's because the way that they get stored, because they're glass ornaments, so I have to rewrap every single one. And I don't have the time this year.

01:20:12 - 01:20:15 | Speaker 2:

But, no, no. But what's it? You can't have a tree without decorations.

01:20:15 - 01:20:19 | Speaker 6:

You don't even pick up after yourself. Are you going to put it away after the ornaments, or am I?

01:20:19 - 01:20:21 | Speaker 2:

I will. I'll help put it away.

01:20:21 - 01:20:32 | Speaker 6:

You are full of it. Never. No. No. And if you want a Christmas tree decorated, Shannon, is your tree decorated? It is. Okay, go visit that one.

01:20:33 - 01:20:33 | Unknown:

Come on.

01:20:34 - 01:20:35 | Speaker 2:

Come on.

01:20:35 - 01:20:53 | Speaker 5:

You know what you need to do, Chels? You need to do what I do for the kids, because I'm kind of particular about the Christmas tree that's in my living room. So put a tree somewhere else in the house, like in the bedroom or in his bathroom or something, and tell him he can put any ornaments he wants up on that one. That's what I do for the kids.

01:20:53 - 01:20:59 | Speaker 6:

I have another thing that I have to pick up. Oh, that's true. That's true. Okay, sorry. I'm tired. I'm old. I'm not doing it anymore.

01:21:00 - 01:21:02 | Speaker 2:

She did this with the kids. The kids all had their own tree.

01:21:02 - 01:21:05 | Speaker 6:

They all had their own tree. You can go to town on those.

01:21:06 - 01:21:22 | Speaker 2:

Our tree looks like the Pinterest tree. And, you know, to me, I want to have, like, the tree like I had when I was a kid. Like, I had a tree that looked like Christmas threw up on it. That's what I want. I want one of those. I've always wanted to have those, you know, those icicles that we used to have, like, when we were kids that would ruin our vacuums?

01:21:23 - 01:21:27 | Speaker 5:

Oh, the tinsel? Yeah. Okay, so that's my whole entire tree. Really? It's just light?

01:21:27 - 01:21:28 | Speaker 2:

Just thrown up all over?

01:21:29 - 01:21:37 | Speaker 5:

It's like a star garland, like a sparkly star garland that I got from Michael's this year. And then I put a whole crap ton of tinsel on it. And that's it. There's no ornaments on the tree in my living room.

01:21:37 - 01:21:39 | Speaker 4:

You'll be getting that stuff off your rug in Easter time.

01:21:39 - 01:21:56 | Speaker 5:

Well, Wes said to me the other day, he goes, I'm afraid to ask you this question, but I want to ask a question. Please don't be offended. I'm just a dumb guy. Is your tree done being decorated? And I was like, yes! This is what it looks like. But it's just covered in tinsel this year. That's what I did. That's a very artsy thing.

01:21:56 - 01:21:57 | Speaker 6:

Mine is just lazy.

01:21:58 - 01:22:17 | Speaker 2:

Tell us, what if I did this with Luke? What if I didn't use the normal ornaments that we have that you have to put away and worry about? What if I went to Target, bought on clearance some Target ornaments, and then put them up on the tree, and then after it's all said and done, I'll just get rid of them and donate them.

01:22:17 - 01:22:29 | Speaker 6:

You are more welcome to do whatever you want as long as you pick up after yourself. This has been an over 20-year discussion with us. You want to do it, please, I all mean to do it, but you are in charge of picking it up.

01:22:30 - 01:23:03 | Speaker 2:

What I figured is it would be something fun for Luke and I to do together. We can do a dad. How about this? You too. Oh, my God. We'll do a dad-son tree together, and then when you come home from Jingle Ball, from Joe's Jingle Ball on Friday, you'll come home to a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Can't wait. She likes our tree Because she likes just having the lights on in the room And it made me think to myself Why don't I just get extra lamps You know what I mean She likes just having a tree up With just lights on it Because it's simple

01:23:03 - 01:23:07 | Speaker 4:

Didn't the kids make decorations When they were in school

01:23:07 - 01:23:10 | Speaker 2:

Those things long ago were gone

01:23:10 - 01:23:12 | Speaker 5:

See those are my favorite

01:23:12 - 01:23:17 | Speaker 2:

Where are the sentimental ones Because we don't have those We have the beautiful brown bulbs

01:23:17 - 01:23:25 | Speaker 6:

They're in a box that I'm afraid to take out, because I don't want them to get ruined. I want to give them to them when they're older. We have those.

01:23:26 - 01:23:27 | Speaker 2:

Ah, jeez.

01:23:27 - 01:23:31 | Speaker 6:

They're put away, you know, in the storage room that you never go to, where all the stuff is that I have to take care of.

01:23:33 - 01:23:36 | Speaker 2:

You make it to the listeners seem like I do nothing, Chels.

01:23:38 - 01:23:43 | Speaker 4:

Okay. No, she makes it seem like you do nothing well.

01:23:44 - 01:23:46 | Speaker 2:

Jordan, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning. Hello.

01:23:47 - 01:24:08 | Speaker 1:

So I'm not allowed to wrap Or wrap presents or decorate the tree either. Because my wife says I look like a three-year-old when I do it. Oh, my God. Oh, if Chelsea is worried about you breaking Christmas ornaments, you need an ornament box. It looks like a big egg cart in that cradle.

01:24:08 - 01:24:11 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Walmart at the container store.

01:24:11 - 01:24:14 | Speaker 2:

Okay. That's not a bad idea. We're going to get those at like a Target or something?

01:24:14 - 01:24:21 | Speaker 6:

Again, if you go in our storage room Where the ornaments are You'll see we have those Oh, we already have those

01:24:21 - 01:24:24 | Speaker 2:

And you're still not allowed to be

01:24:24 - 01:24:28 | Speaker 4:

If you trip down the steps and drop that box It's not going to protect them all

01:24:28 - 01:24:32 | Speaker 2:

Is there anybody that will let me come to their house And help them decorate their Christmas tree

01:24:32 - 01:24:36 | Speaker 4:

Anyone listening who hasn't realized Mojo's potential yet

01:24:36 - 01:25:00 | Speaker 2:

Here's the thing, if you say yes, he'll show up Three minutes later, he'll get bored and he'll leave Yeah, that's true That actually happened, remember the one year Jared tells us there was another year that we were all faced with, like, everybody getting sick. I said I would decorate the tree, and we only did half of the tree. And you came out, and you go, do you realize that only half the tree is decorated? I go, yeah, but you can't see the other half. And she goes, I just saw it. Yeah, Jordan?

01:25:00 - 01:25:09 | Speaker 3:

You also decorate your tree really late. My wife's kind of like Megan. She'll decorate, like, after Thanksgiving.

01:25:09 - 01:25:17 | Speaker 2:

But you have to understand something. The reason we decorated it so late was because I was too lazy to go get the tree from downstairs. Oh, okay. That's all my fault, so thank you.

01:25:17 - 01:25:33 | Speaker 1:

Well, I have a suggestion for Chelsea, and I'm not going to say this happened to me before, but why doesn't she say, you decorate half the tree, and I'll do the other half when I get back, and only do the front half that everybody sees, and then when Chelsea gets back, just spin the tree, and then technically he just decorated the back of the tree against the wall that nobody will see.

01:25:33 - 01:25:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's it. Chelsea, all right, I will talk to you. Are you excited to go see Joe again? You've seen this kid three times in the last, like, month. Like, honestly, I hate to say this, with him moving away and Jacob being away, I feel like I'm seeing my kids too much these days. This is unbelievable.

01:25:52 - 01:25:55 | Speaker 3:

No, just wait next year when it's just the two of us.

01:25:55 - 01:26:03 | Speaker 2:

I know. No, when Luke goes out to college, you get to hang out with me. I'll let you decorate my tree.

01:26:04 - 01:26:06 | Speaker 3:

Okay, that's disgusting, and I'm already very proud.

01:26:07 - 01:26:08 | Speaker 2:

All right, I love you. I'll talk to you later.

01:26:08 - 01:26:09 | Speaker 3:

Bye.

01:26:10 - 01:26:24 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning Show. Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter. Just search Mojo in the Morning or Mojo in the Morn. So, Megan, what's going on? What are we talking about here?

01:26:24 - 01:27:02 | Speaker 4:

Is this a red flag or not? Because I'm raising my red flag up real high, but somebody in my life who I'm not going to name because they deserve shame, but I'll be a good person today. It's the holidays bringing out the best of me. So this was not a red flag and they could not be more wrong. So a friend of mine is getting married and he told me that his soon-to-be wife, so his fiance, decided after they got engaged, this was a few weeks afterwards, she had posted photos of their engagement online and at the same time had sent DMs to her exes announcing that she was getting married.

01:27:02 - 01:27:04 | Speaker 2:

She told her exes that she's getting married?

01:27:05 - 01:27:18 | Speaker 4:

Yes. For what reason? Great question. You're asking the correct questions. Unless does she have children with one of them? No. Sorry, I did not mean to get that right. I get very passionate about this because I think this girl is crazy.

01:27:18 - 01:27:19 | Speaker 1:

She's just petty.

01:27:20 - 01:27:40 | Speaker 4:

She's very petty. And don't get me wrong, I love a petty Betty. Like, I live for a petty queen. But this, to me, gave me icky feelings. It gave me the ick. Because I think she's trying to say, hey, guys, last chance. Last call for alcohol. Yes!

01:27:40 - 01:27:47 | Speaker 1:

That's what I was going to say. It means either one of two things. Either she's getting married for the wrong reasons, or two, she's not over those exes.

01:27:47 - 01:27:56 | Speaker 3:

See, I take it as she just wants to throw it in their face, but why? Still a red flag for her groom-to-be. Right, far past that.

01:27:56 - 01:28:04 | Speaker 4:

You would think. I love when people call me immature, and then these are the people I find out are finding partners in life. So what does your friend think of this?

01:28:04 - 01:28:08 | Speaker 3:

When he found out that she did this, what were his thoughts?

01:28:08 - 01:28:33 | Speaker 4:

I love him, but obviously it's me we're talking about. Men are stupid. And he's like, but I love her. And I'm like, I think your love is misguided. but that's just me and he has happiness in his life and I don't so I don't really have room to talk on this one but I think it's a big problem and he's like well I just think that she was you know kind of took your side and was like just kind of bragging a little bit that she's in a better place than these guys

01:28:33 - 01:28:41 | Speaker 3:

well I didn't mean that in a nice way by the way I'm saying like she wanted to throw it in their faces that she is engaged and has moved on

01:28:41 - 01:28:48 | Speaker 4:

and did we forget how to subtweet about people like you can brag about it but we don't tag them Like, you don't send it directly to them.

01:28:49 - 01:29:22 | Speaker 2:

So it's interesting. Did anybody know anybody else that has ever done this before? Before they got married, they did, like, one last call out to the people that they were in a relationship with and told their exes, hey, I'm about to go do this. And is there any reason why you would do this? Like, is there any reason why you would call them? Like, is there any good reason why you would? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. If I'm him, I'm a little, you know, feeling suspect about this whole thing.

01:29:22 - 01:29:22 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:29:22 - 01:29:29 | Speaker 2:

I'm feeling that there's something going on. Yeah. Yeah. Like, there's one last thing going on.

01:29:29 - 01:29:39 | Speaker 4:

And I think Shannon brings up a good point. The only appropriate time you do this, I think, is if you have kids with somebody. Well, because you need to let them know that they're about to get a step-parent. Right. Right. Any other situation?

01:29:40 - 01:30:02 | Speaker 2:

Seems weird. Well, and also the other thing, too. If you had kids, they probably already knew that you were in a relationship and getting married. and going to get engaged or married or yeah i always uh have you ever seen the the whole toast at a at a wedding where the best man says and uh if you were an ex of this person Bring your keys up here His keys to his apartment

01:30:02 - 01:30:06 | Speaker 6:

I can't believe people do that

01:30:06 - 01:30:30 | Speaker 2:

That actually broke up A couple that I knew That I used to work with in radio Because the best man did that And actually there were a few exes That were there And one particular was not even Supposed to be invited But he insisted that they invite her And she came up and legit brought his key It was a legit key And that actually turned out to be Like, a really bad situation.

01:30:30 - 01:30:32 | Speaker 4:

Why am I never invited to this place?

01:30:32 - 01:30:32 | Speaker 2:

It was unbelievable.

01:30:33 - 01:30:34 | Speaker 4:

I would die to be there.

01:30:34 - 01:30:35 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Amy?

01:30:36 - 01:30:37 | Speaker 4:

Hi.

01:30:37 - 01:30:40 | Speaker 2:

Hey, what's going on? What do you think about Megan's friend?

01:30:41 - 01:30:55 | Speaker 6:

Well, yeah, I think it might be a little kind of petty. My ex-husband, who I've been divorced from for almost 20 years, messaged me out of nowhere that him and his new wife are pregnant.

01:30:56 - 01:30:57 | Speaker 5:

Why?

01:30:57 - 01:31:17 | Speaker 6:

And I don't get it, because after him and I split, he ended up with a man for several years, and that split, and then he met this person who was substantially younger, and he's 40, 41 maybe now.

01:31:18 - 01:31:24 | Speaker 1:

And obviously not over you. I mean, that's the big thing. Like, why is he crawling up in your DMs, like, bothering you? You're the past.

01:31:24 - 01:31:26 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I don't get it.

01:31:26 - 01:31:27 | Speaker 2:

That's wild.

01:31:27 - 01:31:28 | Speaker 6:

I didn't respond.

01:31:29 - 01:31:29 | Speaker 2:

Wow.

01:31:30 - 01:31:40 | Speaker 6:

I really wanted to. Like, what makes you think your ex-wife cares about you and what your new wife is doing? Right. But I became a better person and just ignored it.

01:31:40 - 01:31:42 | Speaker 2:

You should have responded with a, who's this?

01:31:43 - 01:31:45 | Speaker 4:

Got a new phone.

01:31:47 - 01:31:48 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Felicia?

01:31:49 - 01:32:21 | Speaker 4:

Hey. I was just listening to you guys this morning. We listen to you, my husband and I, on our way to work, always listen to you guys in the morning. I just wanted to say that I totally agree with Megan. That's weird. Why would you worry about what your exes think about your new marriage? You should be focusing on your new husband, not focusing on your exes. Don't you think if your ex reached out and did this to you, you would be like, I dodged a bullet. Yeah. Yeah. I think you were a crazy person, which it sounds like she is.

01:32:21 - 01:32:50 | Speaker 3:

mojo in the morning what's up derek hey hey mojo hey you guys good morning what's up well so my take on it i think the guy is a simp like it seems like he may know that you know she still could be possibly friends with those guys but if i was in that situation i would not want her contacting anyone that she used to talk to you know although he would look controlling though

01:32:50 - 01:32:53 | Speaker 2:

if he really put his foot down and said that, don't you think?

01:32:53 - 01:33:02 | Speaker 3:

Well, yeah, I think that, you know, he should have, like, told her, like, hey, why are you contacting your exes? They don't matter. Only thing that matters is that.

01:33:02 - 01:33:17 | Speaker 2:

You're damned if you do if you're damned if you don't as a guy because if you say something about it and, like, I don't like you contacting these ones, you do look like you're controlling, but you should be able to say, hey, I think that's stupid. And if you don't do anything, then you do. What did he say? You look like a simp?

01:33:17 - 01:33:17 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:33:18 - 01:33:19 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Jenny?

01:33:20 - 01:33:31 | Speaker 5:

Hi, I think the real question is, why did she have contact with all of them up until that point? And why did she wait until then to stop contact?

01:33:31 - 01:33:35 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, because she must have. There were still possibilities before she was engaged?

01:33:36 - 01:33:37 | Speaker 1:

That's the big red flag for that.

01:33:37 - 01:33:41 | Speaker 4:

Or did she just reach out out of the blue, which is strange as well.

01:33:41 - 01:33:44 | Speaker 5:

Either way, it's weird. And he should be running.

01:33:45 - 01:34:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, exactly. Thank you for the call. Take care of yourself. I love the callers that we got A couple callers ago There was like the husband and wife That sit there and listen to Mojo in the morning together It's kind of like bringing couples together Although could you imagine You bring topics up like that And then she side eyes him going You did this or she did that Do we cause fights With some of our topics possibly

01:34:09 - 01:34:21 | Speaker 5:

Sometimes you miss your ex Then you remember what a douche baggie is And how awesome you are Then you remember you don't miss him Another world-famous War of the Roses happens tomorrow morning at 7 and 9 on Mojo in the Morning.

01:34:21 - 01:34:57 | Speaker 2:

I have no idea why I'm playing a song underneath this thing, but forget it. I'll play it in a second. Don't go anywhere. I'm not going to go. I hit two buttons at the same time. Fat fingers. I apologize. But I'm going to call Mike up because of this next topic here, and then I'll get that song, and we'll do the dirty and a whole bunch of stuff. It's Mojo in the Morning show. Mike granted a Christmas wish this morning in Toledo. It was awesome. And I'm going to dial him up because I want to talk to him about and see if we can bust his ass. Allie sent me a text on something that Mike did.

01:35:00 - 01:35:03 | Speaker 3:

Mike? Hello. Hi, Mike.

01:35:03 - 01:35:04 | Speaker 4:

Hi.

01:35:05 - 01:35:10 | Speaker 3:

Understand that something interesting happened with gift purchasing.

01:35:11 - 01:35:12 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah.

01:35:12 - 01:35:19 | Speaker 3:

There might be somebody that we all know that might have tried to sneak a fast one by.

01:35:20 - 01:35:22 | Speaker 4:

Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

01:35:23 - 01:35:24 | Speaker 3:

Truth to that?

01:35:24 - 01:36:23 | Speaker 4:

Maybe. I mean, a little. Well, no. Yes and no. I think this is a good gift for everybody, for the whole family. I had this idea that, Allie, the kids are super into Minecraft. My son's into it. My daughter's really, really into it. They play at least once a day. We control the time or whatever, but they play at least once a day. It's like a fun, interactive game. I'm really trying to sell you on the game. It's a cool game for the kids. They play it on the PS4, which is like the older version or whatever, and they have a virtual reality for it, like the VR mask or whatever it's called. So I'm like, Allie, we should get the kids a virtual reality mask thing, the VR, for the PS4. It's not as expensive as it would be for the PS5. The whole family could play. The kids will love it. And it got vetoed so fast because she says that that gift is not for the kids. That gift is for you. There's no way those kids even want that. That gift is 100% for you.

01:36:23 - 01:36:46 | Speaker 3:

I like how, by the way, when you told the story, you did your best at trying to really make it seem like it was going to be the family gift of family gifts. It is. When we know already that you've been turned down by this by Allie, but you also, you know that that gift is more so for you than it is for you to spend time with Allie and Cecily and Milo.

01:36:46 - 01:36:50 | Speaker 2:

Like, tell me Milo didn't put VR goggles on his Santa list.

01:36:50 - 01:36:59 | Speaker 4:

uh well no he did not but definitely would be super into it and i guess i'll play once or twice

01:36:59 - 01:37:37 | Speaker 3:

i guess if you're forced to here's the here's the question how many people have ever caught their spouse their husband uh or boyfriend doing this where they tried to sneak a gift by saying that it was for the kids for the family it was a family gift but it truly was just a gift for them, and what was the gift? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Hey, if you could actually duplicate Cecily's writing, you should have just put it right on Santa's list. Could you imagine? All of a sudden, you look at the list, and the list goes, tickets to a Lions game, autographed Jared Goff football, you know, stuff like that.

01:37:38 - 01:37:43 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I don't know. I don't know why she would want Lions jerseys at all, but she just says she does. I don't know.

01:37:43 - 01:37:59 | Speaker 3:

She wears a lion's jersey, size, large, men's. Mike, one of the things I love about Mike is Mike does everything that I wish I could actually do, too. Like, he almost is, he's almost good enough at it, too. Have you noticed that, you guys?

01:37:59 - 01:38:01 | Speaker 5:

Like, you just barely.

01:38:02 - 01:38:10 | Speaker 3:

Like, honestly, and that's the thing with Allie, is Allie, I'll have conversations about you, and Allie will go, he's almost cute enough where you want to buy it for him. You know what I mean?

01:38:11 - 01:38:23 | Speaker 4:

No, I wouldn't go that far. But I really think it's – I genuinely – well, I would play it. Here's the thing. Well, I would play it. But I think the kids would like it.

01:38:23 - 01:38:24 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:38:24 - 01:38:26 | Speaker 4:

No, the kids would like it.

01:38:26 - 01:38:30 | Speaker 5:

The kids would like it, but they'd have to wrestle it from your hands. Yeah, that's right.

01:38:31 - 01:38:47 | Speaker 3:

By the way, that has happened before in my house when my kids were little. I would get something for Christmas, and my kids would start playing it with it more than I would play with it. And I'd be like, I felt like I was back when I was a kid with my brother. I was, like, jealous of my kids. Like, don't you have your own toys?

01:38:47 - 01:39:09 | Speaker 5:

Get away from her. It is kind of funny. Like, I loved Barbies until I was, like, a freshman in high school. I made my friend Nicole promise that she wouldn't tell anybody that we still played Barbies when we were incoming freshmen. And so when Luz gets Barbie stuff now, still sometimes I'm, like, in awe of all the cool new Barbie stuff they have. It's like I turn into my 10-year-old self again. Or 15-year-old self.

01:39:09 - 01:39:21 | Speaker 3:

I wish that there was still, like, Toys R Us, because if there was a Toys R Us, I'd walk through, and now as an adult with, like, my own paycheck, I would want to go buy something. Oh, that sounds like a bad cough there, Lael.

01:39:23 - 01:39:24 | Speaker 4:

Yes, hi, sorry. What's going on?

01:39:24 - 01:39:26 | Speaker 3:

I think that might have been a mic cough. No, I think.

01:39:26 - 01:39:27 | Speaker 4:

No, that wasn't me. That wasn't me.

01:39:27 - 01:39:31 | Speaker 3:

Oh, man, that sounds like a deep cough. You got a little cough going there. What's going on?

01:39:31 - 01:39:44 | Speaker 1:

so my daughter was barely a year old and my ex-husband decided to get her a full-on hot wheels racetrack like one of the fully automated ones because he thought that would

01:39:44 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 3:

be the perfect gift for her or him yeah totally for him that's funny uh what's up kim how you doing hi hey what's good we're talking about trying to sneak a gift by mike was doing this But.

01:40:00 - 01:40:18 | Speaker 1:

valley yeah so it's funny um my brother-in-law has a niece who's three and my brother-in-law is super into legos and um he put on the Christmas list for my three-year-old niece architectural lego site for uh Tokyo and also

01:40:18 - 01:40:23 | Speaker 5:

you could teach so much to that little girl

01:40:23 - 01:40:35 | Speaker 7:

T.S., when did Legos get so crazy expensive? Oh, they're crazy. Holy hell. Lucy asked for some Lego sets. I cannot believe the price of these things. I know. I know. It is a crime.

01:40:35 - 01:40:41 | Speaker 6:

One of my neighbors is a big Lego fanatic, too, and he won't even let his kids touch his Legos.

01:40:41 - 01:40:41 | Speaker 7:

I mean.

01:40:41 - 01:40:42 | Speaker 6:

He's got kids.

01:40:42 - 01:40:44 | Speaker 7:

I get it. They're so expensive.

01:40:44 - 01:40:53 | Speaker 6:

No, but he's got a Lego room, and he's got kids that are like 12 and 13 years old, and he won't let them touch his Legos. They're his Legos, not their Legos. What's up, Miles?

01:40:54 - 01:40:55 | Speaker 4:

How you doing?

01:40:55 - 01:40:58 | Speaker 6:

Good. What's going on? You pull this off like Mike does?

01:40:59 - 01:41:17 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. So for Christmas a few years back, my wife wanted a fruit blender, a ninja. And so I got the box for one, and instead I put in subwoofers and an amp for a car inside the box so we could have loud music in our car.

01:41:17 - 01:41:20 | Speaker 6:

Oh, jeez. Nice. Oh, my God. Sneaking one by.

01:41:20 - 01:41:27 | Speaker 4:

She opened the gift and was super excited. She thought it was the blender and then opened the box and seen speakers.

01:41:29 - 01:41:31 | Speaker 6:

That went over like a fart in church, didn't it?

01:41:32 - 01:41:34 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. She loved it. She's still proud of that.

01:41:35 - 01:41:36 | Speaker 6:

Sierra, what's up?

01:41:37 - 01:41:56 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Mojo. So my husband bought a 78-inch TV for our house, supposedly. But he likes football and really is for him. He's bought a 65-inch, and he swears it's too small. And he tried to put the 78-inch in our living room. No, in our room, and I made him put it in our living room.

01:41:58 - 01:42:09 | Speaker 6:

I love that, by the way. This is a family TV for football for Sundays. Sean? Yes, sir. How are you doing? Hey, what did you buy for your daughters?

01:42:11 - 01:42:21 | Speaker 3:

Well, I have five daughters from 13 to 2. And every year I try to say that they want this tool Because they love working with me

01:42:21 - 01:42:21 | Speaker 5:

Uh huh

01:42:21 - 01:42:25 | Speaker 3:

Does it work? Just as excited No

01:42:25 - 01:42:29 | Speaker 6:

What tool are you asking for this year?

01:42:30 - 01:42:31 | Speaker 3:

Uh, router

01:42:31 - 01:42:36 | Speaker 6:

Okay The tool set keeps on growing As you keep having daughters

01:42:36 - 01:42:40 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30

01:42:40 - 01:42:45 | Speaker 6:

Gets you caught up with the Dirty on the 30 right now Breaking and entering Christmas wish Granting another Christmas wish this morning

01:42:45 - 01:42:48 | Speaker 7:

Do you see Britney Spears' latest Instagram video?

01:42:48 - 01:42:49 | Speaker 6:

I'm telling you

01:42:49 - 01:43:25 | Speaker 7:

Alright So she posted a brand new video of herself dancing topless in the shower She's wearing nothing but this little itty bitty pair of like red bikini string bottoms While she's holding her cleavage She's dancing to LL Cool J's song Doing It And she captioned the Instagram clip 41 And finally expressing my freedom has never felt better Learning to love myself And become my passion this year I'd rather be in my skin Than wear my skin I love the caption I love the sentiment behind it It's just the naked videos are a lot

01:43:25 - 01:43:32 | Speaker 6:

I just think that the next video is going to happen Or the next I'm quitting social media Is going to happen again Well, very mixed response, by the way

01:43:32 - 01:43:41 | Speaker 7:

In the comments section Lots of people encouraging her At the same time Lots of people wondering If her social media is being controlled Or should be controlled

01:43:41 - 01:43:57 | Speaker 6:

I think this guy that's her husband is the problem right now. I think that guy needs to be taken away just like her dad needed to be taken away. Like, I think that guy's, for some reason, I don't know, maybe there's something weird happening there. Somebody needs to do like a check.

01:43:57 - 01:44:07 | Speaker 7:

I don't know that he's taking the best care of her. I understand he's letting her be herself, but at some point, as her husband, do you say, hey, like, you are beautiful.

01:44:08 - 01:44:08 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:44:08 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 7:

And I love you, but not everybody needs to see. You know, what I only should see I don't know, that's just my thought So Drake's latest bling Very interesting, very blingy It showcases diamonds From engagement rings That he thought about giving to women But he never gave to them Jewelry designer Alex Moss Posted this necklace And he writes new piece titled Previous engagements For all the times he thought about it But never did it the necklace is insane okay it's made up of 42 engagement rings or the diamonds from engagement rings okay for a total of 351.38 carats and diamonds 358 carats and diamonds it took 14 months to make and

01:45:00 - 01:45:12 | Speaker 2:

And I was going back through the list of, like, at least famous people that Drake stated. Rashida Jones, Tara Banks, SZA, Julia Fox, before she got together with Kanye, Rihanna. Well, I mean, this is the ultimate flex.

01:45:12 - 01:45:26 | Speaker 5:

Obviously, it's probably, you know, tongue-in-cheek to get some free press and go viral with it. But if it was actually true, doesn't it say a lot more about him being a little unstable than about the women who's trying to throw shade at? For sure.

01:45:27 - 01:45:35 | Speaker 2:

Also, it's kind of ugly. I mean, it's kind of ugly. Well, because it's like all different shapes at the bottom. I don't like it.

01:45:35 - 01:45:37 | Speaker 5:

When you drink money, you don't know what to do. You don't care.

01:45:37 - 01:46:33 | Speaker 2:

You don't care. Disgraced FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried has been denied bail in the Bahamas after being charged with one of the biggest financial frauds in American history. And again, he is accused of defrauding investors out of $1.8 billion by trying to convince them that his crypto trading platform FTX was safe to use. He's been holed up in the Bahamas for weeks trying to avoid extradition, but he was denied bail after prosecutors argued in court that he was a flight risk. They said that he had this $300 million that was hidden in a Brazilian fund months before FTX collapsed as a means of setting himself up, you know, for the future when everything else was crumbling. Here's the best part. Sam Bankman-Fried argued that he couldn't go to jail because he is vegan and he's depressed. Those were his two reasons. He's vegan and they don't care if you're vegan in jail.

01:46:33 - 01:47:24 | Speaker 4:

The best part is that he was set to testify before Congress yesterday and got arrested the day before, meaning that he couldn't testify before Congress. And now some are speculating that Congress pushed to get him arrested because they don't want any of the details to come out about all the donations that he made to a lot of political campaigns that a lot of people are now saying that should be returned back to the investors of FTX. So a lot of that is going to be coming down in the next, you know, months with him, you know, I will tell you this. If he turns up dead, that would not surprise me. it would be like a Jeffrey Epstein type situation. Yeah. And they'll try to, you know, I don't know. There's always a conspiracy. I feel like there's, you know, what's that TV show Scandal that used to be on? Yes. There'll be some kind of a crazy story behind it.

01:47:24 - 01:47:36 | Speaker 2:

Back in October, former SNL star Chris Redd was brutally attacked in front of the comedy cellar in New York City. Do you guys remember that story we talked about a little bit? Well, now he says he thinks somebody was out to get him specifically.

01:47:36 - 01:48:02 | Speaker 3:

That's the thing. People call it a random attack. I don't believe that. I watched the footage. He waited for me an hour before I got there. He was on the phone. He had a lookout dude and everything. I've never done nothing random where it took me an hour to do it. I've never just randomly did a thing that took a buildup. That's not what random is. So I must say it was a planned situation. That's what I feel in my heart and soul.

01:48:03 - 01:48:09 | Speaker 2:

He also said that he's kind of bummed because he doesn't feel like the police seem to be working as hard on his case as they once were.

01:48:09 - 01:48:30 | Speaker 3:

They have footage of him and they were confident The cops were confident The first week they were like, we're going to find this man We're going to lock him up I'm like, damn, this is like law and order, SVU And then the second week, they were like We're getting real close and we're going to lock him up Last week, he was like, I don't know, man And then I texted him the top of the week this week He ghosted me

01:48:30 - 01:49:16 | Speaker 4:

You know, there's three cases right now To me are just mind-boggling that we haven't caught anybody Number one is that Idaho, University of Idaho Those students that were all murdered I can't believe that they haven't caught a suspect in that. Number two, Migos and the shooting that took place, you know, we're killed. What's his name with Migos in Houston? Not nothing yet. I haven't had anything. This Chris Red one is interesting. I'm surprised in this day and age of cameras everywhere that there hasn't been anybody or even a person turning somebody in. You know what I mean? Like that there hasn't been somebody that has said, I know who the killer was in Idaho. I know who, you know, killed. Who is it for me goes? Why am I? Take off.

01:49:16 - 01:49:43 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. And lastly, Florida Senator Marco Rubio introducing bipartisan legislation that would ban TikTok from operating in the states over all of those national security concerns. Excuse me. The bill already has bipartisan support in the House. In a statement yesterday, Marco said this isn't about creative videos. videos. This is about an app that is collecting data on tens of millions of American children and adults each and every day. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on

01:49:56 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 4:

What's going on, Brianna? Hi. Hey, you're a winner.

01:50:00 - 01:50:04 | Speaker 5:

$100 cash, qualified for $10,000 of mistletoe.

01:50:05 - 01:50:06 | Speaker 2:

That's exciting.

01:50:06 - 01:50:13 | Speaker 5:

Isn't that cool? I think it is. $10,000. I don't know about you, but, man, that would make for a merry, merry Christmas.

01:50:14 - 01:50:15 | Speaker 2:

It would. I could really use it.

01:50:15 - 01:50:22 | Speaker 5:

I'll tell you what. If I were to win that $10,000, I would buy Mike that VR headset that he's looking for.

01:50:22 - 01:50:26 | Speaker 2:

Please buy him that VR headset. Yeah, I've got to win.

01:50:26 - 01:50:31 | Speaker 5:

I've got to win this contest in order to do it. Hang on the phone for just one second, and we'll get some information from you, okay?

01:50:32 - 01:50:32 | Speaker 4:

Thank you.

01:50:32 - 01:50:33 | Speaker 5:

All right, take care.

01:50:33 - 01:50:36 | Speaker 4:

In the next 15 minutes, you'll hear about this on Mojo in the Morning.

01:50:36 - 01:50:50 | Speaker 5:

When we come back here in just a matter of moments on the Mojo in the Morning show, get ready to go see the Red Wings play. It's Red Wing Wednesday. We've got an opportunity for you that's on the way in moments. It's Mojo in the Morning. Be right back.

01:50:50 - 01:50:57 | Speaker 4:

The best part of going to the company Christmas party is the dumb people in the office that need to find a new job the next day. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:50:57 - 01:51:44 | Speaker 5:

yeah we don't have to worry about that nobody's getting fired after our company christmas party this year because guess when our christmas party begins it begins in 10 minutes from now what yes our company christmas party i found this out i so i know that we're having their our um uh we're having a contest we're having a uh christmas uh sweater contest and i knew that we were having like a little lunch but i didn't realize that it all is beginning at nine o'clock this morning we're still on the radio we'll never get fired at our company christmas party because we're gonna make the company christmas party maybe we

01:51:44 - 01:51:53 | Speaker 3:

should have saved all our commercials from the whole show until the end so we can just run out there play all the commercials for 10 minutes and run out there it's the earliest christmas party i

01:51:53 - 01:52:15 | Speaker 5:

think that we've ever had before and i don't know what the the reasoning is if maybe i because i think jay towers is off the air at nine o'clock maybe they did it specifically for jay but don't they know that we are on till 10 30 every single morning and the amazing part of this whole thing was like i thought that i thought they cared they loved us i thought that we were loved around here

01:52:15 - 01:52:39 | Speaker 3:

think about there's only 10 or 12 people in in this building in detroit who have consistently been in this building every day for the last three years. Half of them are in on this show, you know, the other half for management, but it seems like, yeah, with us being working, I mean, it's a half-day party. They're given, I don't know if the other half of the day they get to leave or if they have to work after that.

01:52:39 - 01:53:07 | Speaker 5:

I think this is Colleen's way of doing it so that I don't have to get offend Allison or something from J Show. So Allison can be there for the first hour and a half Everybody always thinks that I offend Allison All I do is say hi to her Anytime I've ever said hi to her For some reason people think I'm offending All I'm saying hi But they think that I don't know Maybe this is their way of separating us Like they're going to have shifts It's shifts of Christmas Because I know that we're having lunch

01:53:07 - 01:53:09 | Speaker 1:

We're having breakfast too

01:53:09 - 01:53:13 | Speaker 5:

Well I'm not going to have breakfast Because we're still in there until 10.30 I mean when you go to the bathroom

01:53:13 - 01:53:15 | Speaker 1:

Run out and grab something on your way back

01:53:15 - 01:53:18 | Speaker 5:

I understand but I can't eat breakfast and lunch I won't be that hungry. I'm on a diet.

01:53:19 - 01:53:21 | Speaker 1:

I think they're going to have mimosas out there. What?

01:53:22 - 01:53:24 | Speaker 5:

They're letting us drink? Oh, my God.

01:53:24 - 01:53:29 | Speaker 3:

You've never seen Janelle show up early for work, but she's out there setting up at a bar right now. Is she really?

01:53:30 - 01:53:34 | Speaker 2:

This is amazing. I love how you said they're letting us drink like we don't have a full bar in the studio. I know.

01:53:34 - 01:53:37 | Speaker 5:

I know. But this is legal. Like, we can actually legally drink.

01:53:37 - 01:54:04 | Speaker 3:

Can I put this question to the listeners? Is anybody having a work Christmas party this year, or are they extinct? Because I feel like a lot of companies just wrote them off over the... You know, before COVID and now that was the final nail in the coffin. Like my girlfriend's company stopped doing them. So her and they used to do really big, nice parties. But now her and her friend just picked up a dive bar, spread the word to show up after work. Like they kind of created an unofficial office party later in the week because they don't have one anymore.

01:54:05 - 01:54:05 | Speaker 2:

We're not having one.

01:54:06 - 01:54:09 | Speaker 5:

No? Really? Every day is a party for you guys down in Toledo.

01:54:10 - 01:54:14 | Speaker 2:

I accidentally came up here on the right day. But if I didn't come up here today, I wouldn't be going to one this time.

01:54:14 - 01:54:19 | Speaker 5:

Every day, you and Scott and Jillian are always at that cigar bar drinking.

01:54:20 - 01:54:24 | Speaker 2:

We go to Toll House a lot. I love Toll House. I probably shouldn't tell people that.

01:54:24 - 01:54:41 | Speaker 5:

All right, so here's the deal. So let's do the rundown here right now because I just got this thing from the office. All right? Julie Morgan sent this out to us. The rundown of everything that's going to be happening here for this holiday party. Where the heck is it? Let's see here.

01:54:41 - 01:54:58 | Speaker 3:

And I'll give props to the local management because I'm sure they're working with whatever they got. Maybe the corporate put down the hammer and said, don't spend money, don't do this and that. But I think your issue seems to be more of the timing of it that we're not going to participate in the first half.

01:54:58 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 5:

9 to 11.30, brunch.

01:55:00 - 01:55:30 | Speaker 8:

from the Hudson Cafe. All right. We might be able to be there for the last hour if we can get our last production done. I'm going to make sure I get some Hudson Cafe. I love Tom. He's great, and the food's awesome. 11.30 till 1. Okay, this is the one I will definitely be at. 11.30 till 1, lunch from Buddy's Pizza. All right, so we'll have lunch from Buddy's. Here's the fun part of the thing. They listed it as fun. From 9.15 till 10, we're having a cooking ornament decorating Contest

01:55:30 - 01:55:35 | Speaker 2:

Cookie and ornament decorating I'm down for some cookie decorating

01:55:35 - 01:55:37 | Speaker 8:

Is that cookie or it says cooking but I guess it's supposed to be cookie

01:55:37 - 01:55:38 | Speaker 2:

Cookie and ornament decorating

01:55:38 - 01:55:49 | Speaker 7:

I believe that was cancelled if you look at the most recent schedule Really? They removed the decorating part It just says 9 to 10 eat and mingle And then fun 10 to 11.30 holiday karaoke

01:55:49 - 01:55:56 | Speaker 8:

Holiday karaoke and ugly Christmas sweater contest Oh I love it

01:55:56 - 01:56:01 | Speaker 1:

That I was supposed to host And I still am, but I realized they were going to start at 10, and I'm still on the air. Still working.

01:56:02 - 01:56:25 | Speaker 8:

Oh, that's true. And, yeah, we need you. They're not pulling you away for this holiday party. We got to have our producer. And then from 11.45 until 12.30, it's the Satan Rap Cunt game. What is this? Satan Rap? No, no, no. That's Saran Rap. Oh, Saran Rap game. I was like, wait, I love it. We're bringing Satan in.

01:56:25 - 01:56:26 | Speaker 7:

But I like your theme. Let's dress for that.

01:56:26 - 01:56:28 | Speaker 8:

What is the Saran Wrap game?

01:56:28 - 01:56:33 | Speaker 3:

You've never played it? Oh, it's seriously so fun. We play it every Christmas Eve at my house.

01:56:33 - 01:56:35 | Speaker 8:

Shannon, you're on the party committee, aren't you? You play on this party.

01:56:35 - 01:56:42 | Speaker 3:

It's so fun. It's a huge Saran Wrap ball, and it's filled with all the gifts that you have to, like, everybody gets a term to unwrap something as other people are rolling the dice.

01:56:42 - 01:56:45 | Speaker 7:

It's killing the planet. You're using a whole roll of plastic wrap.

01:56:45 - 01:56:46 | Speaker 8:

Shannon, you get...

01:56:46 - 01:56:49 | Speaker 3:

That's all my family does on Christmas Eve is play games. Oh, my God. And that's what I'm doing.

01:56:51 - 01:56:53 | Speaker 8:

What's going on, Hannah? How you doing?

01:56:54 - 01:56:56 | Speaker 4:

Hey, good morning, everyone. I'm good. How are you?

01:56:56 - 01:57:02 | Speaker 8:

Good. We're getting excited. Our holiday party is beginning in three minutes now. We're going to be gone for three minutes.

01:57:02 - 01:57:05 | Speaker 7:

If I want to attend the office party, do I have to submit a vacation date today?

01:57:05 - 01:57:14 | Speaker 8:

No, no, no, no. But we are going to have to, like, come up with a bunch of recorded material to put on the radio for this. But what's up, Hannah?

01:57:15 - 01:57:25 | Speaker 4:

Hey. I just wanted to tune in about our company Christmas parties. We're having two this year, actually. I'm fairly new to my company, so I'll feel the Christmas spirit for sure.

01:57:25 - 01:57:27 | Speaker 8:

Two of them? Where are you guys having your parties?

01:57:29 - 01:57:45 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so we had our first party back on Friday. I'm from Grand Haven, so we had it at Kirby, which that was pretty fun. And then tomorrow, we're having a building Christmas party, working in an office building. And we're having mimosas, Bloody Mary.

01:57:45 - 01:57:47 | Speaker 8:

Wow. What company do you work for?

01:57:48 - 01:57:51 | Speaker 4:

I work for ClickBid, so we're a software company.

01:57:51 - 01:57:52 | Speaker 8:

Man.

01:57:52 - 01:57:55 | Speaker 4:

But, yeah, they know how to party, I guess. I love it.

01:57:56 - 01:58:11 | Speaker 7:

I've got to be honest with you, I'd rather, I mean, maybe the costs aren't equal, but we talked earlier about how people aren't getting the Christmas bonuses they used to get. I almost would rather just have them spend more money on a gathering like this and have us go somewhere and get together outside of the office.

01:58:11 - 01:58:12 | Speaker 8:

I love that idea. What's up, Sarah?

01:58:13 - 01:58:14 | Speaker 5:

Hey.

01:58:14 - 01:58:16 | Speaker 8:

Hey, what's going on? What are you guys doing?

01:58:17 - 01:58:37 | Speaker 5:

We're actually going to have like a small party ourselves. We're a small company. And so we We're just getting it catered And then we do like a little secret Santa gift Because there's only 13 of us And so we pick out names And then we buy each other gifts And pass it out And things like that So it's pretty nice

01:58:37 - 01:58:40 | Speaker 8:

Sounds like fun Tiffany, what do you guys do?

01:58:41 - 01:58:51 | Speaker 6:

Hi, I'm a store manager At a store in the mall And I just take my employees out in January Where we pick a fun venue Like last year we went bowling

01:58:51 - 01:58:56 | Speaker 3:

A lot of companies do that Yeah, they've been after the holiday

01:58:56 - 01:59:02 | Speaker 8:

I like the after the holiday one Because everybody's all crazy busy with their family And trying to wrap up the year

01:59:02 - 01:59:05 | Speaker 7:

And let's be honest, there's a little post-holiday depression Nothing to look forward to

01:59:05 - 01:59:11 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, so this is pretty cool And it gives your employees incentive to come back and work after the holidays, right?

01:59:11 - 01:59:26 | Speaker 6:

Exactly And for us, because we're so busy during the holidays That we don't have any time to do anything else And it's my thank you Like I pay for it myself for them as a thank you so that they feel appreciated and valued for all the hard work that they did over the holidays.

01:59:26 - 01:59:27 | Speaker 8:

What store do you work at?

01:59:28 - 01:59:36 | Speaker 6:

I am the store manager for the Perfumania at Great Lakes Crossing and District. Love it. We got buy one, get one half off going on right now.

01:59:36 - 01:59:38 | Speaker 8:

Love it. Thank you. Merry Christmas.

01:59:38 - 01:59:41 | Speaker 7:

You know who I want to work for? United Wholesale Mortgage.

01:59:41 - 01:59:42 | Speaker 8:

Oh my God.

01:59:42 - 01:59:45 | Speaker 7:

Does Matt Ishbia have the biggest party every year?

01:59:45 - 01:59:48 | Speaker 8:

They had Dan and Shay at their holiday party.

01:59:48 - 01:59:50 | Speaker 7:

Dan and Shay and Ludacris this year. What?

01:59:50 - 01:59:52 | Speaker 4:

Can I just get a plus one?

01:59:53 - 01:59:55 | Speaker 8:

Matt Ishpia does it up right. What's up, Ellen?

01:59:57 - 01:59:58 | Speaker 4:

Hi.

01:59:58 - 02:00:00 | Speaker 8:

Hey, what are you guys doing for your...

02:00:00 - 02:00:35 | Speaker 1:

holiday party um my office what they do is take everyone uh we run a place out we have food and then we have a bunch of items they purchase and we are all get fake money and it's an auction and that's actually really cool it's absolutely crazy because if two people have the same amount left and they're bidding the same amount then the challenges break out there's you know anything from, like, planks, who can hold the planks the longest, to, you know, lifting

02:00:35 - 02:00:50 | Speaker 5:

weights. Oh, my God. See, that would be here, too. That's me. That would be here, like, we're all very competitive people in this office, so, you know. Could you imagine if they did a plank contest? Oh, my gosh. This is a double dare. Our old boss, Paul, would fly back here just to participate.

02:00:51 - 02:00:54 | Speaker 4:

That would be the shortest plank contest ever.

02:00:56 - 02:00:57 | Speaker 5:

Oh, plank? I thought you said pancake.

02:00:57 - 02:01:01 | Speaker 4:

India, what are you guys doing for your holiday party?

02:01:02 - 02:01:05 | Speaker 3:

We do a Creaster party, so my manager does it in April.

02:01:06 - 02:01:08 | Speaker 4:

We have to dump that. What did she say? What's a Creaster party?

02:01:08 - 02:01:12 | Speaker 6:

Like Christmas plus Easter? Yeah, he does it. How did you know that?

02:01:12 - 02:01:14 | Speaker 4:

Wow, that was good. Creaster. That's amazing.

02:01:15 - 02:01:20 | Speaker 2:

Creaster in April. Just think about it. Yeah, we definitely wait until April, and we just celebrate both holidays.

02:01:20 - 02:01:28 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that's cool. A Creaster party. I like that. Yeah. Oh, Spike, let's find out where Skylar works. Skylar, where do you guys go for your holiday party?

02:01:29 - 02:01:32 | Speaker 2:

So this year, my boss actually rented out a distillery.

02:01:32 - 02:01:33 | Speaker 4:

Oh, hello.

02:01:34 - 02:01:37 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I actually work at the only Jets pizza in the world that has a bar.

02:01:37 - 02:01:40 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my. Where is that place? Where is it?

02:01:41 - 02:01:42 | Speaker 3:

So it's in Chelsea, Michigan.

02:01:43 - 02:01:44 | Speaker 4:

And they have a bar in the Jets pizza?

02:01:45 - 02:01:51 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, we have 38 rotating craft beers on draft. Wait, this is amazing. Field trip.

02:01:52 - 02:01:59 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I'm going to pretend I didn't already know that. and I haven't had drinks at Jets Pizza and then the Grateful Crow next door.

02:01:59 - 02:02:02 | Speaker 3:

Wouldn't it be... Yes, my boss also owns the Grateful Crow.

02:02:03 - 02:02:08 | Speaker 4:

Wouldn't that be amazing if all the Jets pizzas had that, like where you could go almost like a Buddy's where you can sit down in the thing?

02:02:08 - 02:02:11 | Speaker 5:

We already have a problem with the ranch dressing.

02:02:11 - 02:03:31 | Speaker 4:

Well, listen, I'm going to tell you something. I would swim in that ranch dressing. As a matter of fact, hold on. Our holiday party is beginning in a second. 02:03:32 - 02:03:33 | Speaker 6:

Five lies to tell your mom.

02:03:34 - 02:03:45 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Brian, it's five lies to tell your mom. Are you ready? Yes, I am. Brian, I'm a little worried here. I'm hoping that we don't ruin your relationship that you have with your mother.

02:03:46 - 02:03:51 | Speaker 5:

I hope so, too. That would not be good. That would not be good. This is too funny. This is great.

02:03:51 - 02:04:13 | Speaker 4:

All right, but here's the thing. Mom's going to understand at the end that she's going to get a prize out of this deal. We're going to give you five lies. We made these up, and we're going to give you a chance to try to do a good acting job here. Lie number one that you have to tell your mom. Say, Mom, I didn't realize how much I had to drink last night. Oh, God. Lie number two.

02:04:13 - 02:04:18 | Speaker 6:

Say, the bar was only 10 minutes away, so I thought I would be fine driving myself home.

02:04:18 - 02:04:22 | Speaker 4:

She's going to kill me. I'm dead. It's done. Lie number three.

02:04:22 - 02:04:25 | Speaker 2:

I hit a parked car on my street and drove away.

02:04:27 - 02:04:31 | Speaker 5:

Lie number four. Someone must have seen it and called the cops.

02:04:32 - 02:04:53 | Speaker 4:

Oh, God. And lie number five. The cops showed up and arrested me. Oh, God. When we call your mom, I'll jump on in the beginning and say I'm calling from the actual jail. and that this is your one phone call. Do you think mom would freak out if you were actually calling from jail?

02:04:53 - 02:04:54 | Speaker 5:

Yes.

02:04:55 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 4:

Okay. All right, let's see what happens. Let's see what mom does. Hold on one second. Okay.

02:05:00 - 02:05:23 | Speaker 3:

Through all five, lies and mom wins a prize. Hello? County jail calling. You have a call from O'Brien.

02:05:26 - 02:05:26 | Speaker 6:

Okay.

02:05:27 - 02:05:28 | Speaker 3:

Will you accept?

02:05:28 - 02:05:29 | Speaker 6:

Yes.

02:05:30 - 02:05:30 | Speaker 3:

Go ahead.

02:05:32 - 02:05:58 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Mom. What's going on? How you doing? How you doing? Yeah, I'm in a little bit of trouble right now. What's going on? Well, me and some buddies went out last night, and I didn't realize that I had a little bit too much to drink last night. And the bar was only 10 minutes from the house, so I thought I would just drive myself home.

02:05:59 - 02:06:00 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

02:06:00 - 02:06:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and I ended up, when I was pulling onto the street, I ended up hitting a parked car, and I didn't know what to do, and I didn't want to have to call the cops and get in trouble for it because I was drinking, so I just drove away.

02:06:14 - 02:06:17 | Speaker 6:

You had left it? You didn't put anything on the windshield or nothing?

02:06:18 - 02:06:23 | Speaker 4:

No, I just drove away. I just slammed into the back of the car.

02:06:23 - 02:06:35 | Speaker 6:

02:07:25 - 02:07:26 | Speaker 3:

02:07:28 - 02:07:31 | Speaker 4:

Oh my god Ryan, I'm going to kill you

02:08:48 - 02:08:51 | Speaker 3:

What did you think of your son's acting skills?

02:08:53 - 02:09:01 | Speaker 5:

He did good I was ready I'm shaking I thought, oh my god Because I tell them They're drinking and driving Freaking call me Oh my god

02:09:01 - 02:09:05 | Speaker 1:

02:09:29 - 02:09:31 | Speaker 1:

Now, do you still want us to keep them locked up for the week?

02:09:32 - 02:09:33 | Speaker 5:

02:09:36 - 02:09:37 | Speaker 1:

02:10:43 - 02:10:44 | Speaker 1:

Amazing. Thank you so much.

02:10:44 - 02:11:32 | Speaker 2:

They need to have Specs Howard night, too. Do they do that? I know they're doing Lawrence Tech, so I think that they have all the universities. They need to do it for, like, Catherine Secretarial College. you know have it have like a special night for any of the schools that are out there sylvan learning center could you imagine wouldn't that be awesome it's like special night there's a lot of people that go so take their kids mojo in the morning show phone number 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 the text is 95500 to get through to us uh shannon uh has a friend of hers that did a little booty call. Is this the same friend that had the booty call issue where, what was the one that you talked about?

02:11:32 - 02:11:37 | Speaker 1:

This is not the girlfriend who is dating the guy who is super duper smelly at the gym. Different girl.

02:11:37 - 02:12:00 | Speaker 2:

No, there was a booty call one we talked about a couple weeks ago about one of your friends and did she have to leave in the middle of the booty call or something like that? I forget what it was. I can't remember what it was. Okay, so So whenever you bring these stories to me, I sit there and I think to myself, how come I've never met these friends?

02:12:00 - 02:12:02 | Speaker 1:

Actually, you have met this girl.

02:12:02 - 02:12:03 | Speaker 2:

I have? Really?

02:12:03 - 02:14:04 | Speaker 1:

You have met this girl. I'm not going to say her name, though. Okay. So she had like a hookup, a one-night hookup, a one-night stand at the beginning of the summer with a guy who was in town for a bachelor party. Okay? Okay. And he is from California. am. So fast forward to recently, she they're still talking and texting each other, which kind of blows my mind. But she really, really likes him. OK. And he really, really likes her. So anyway, she went to visit him in California two weekends ago, I think now. And he had to work on the Sunday when she while she was there. She went from Thursday to Monday. So on Sunday, he gets up to go to work. And she didn't mind that because she had some work of her own to catch up on as well. And so she was like, I'm going to do that. I'm going to watch a movie, you know, and just kind of like, whatever, hang out until he gets back from work. So she was making some breakfast for herself with some leftovers from dinner the night before. She bites into a breakfast taco that she had made, okay? And I don't even know how in the heck this happened, but she cracked her front tooth in half, like legit in half, almost up to the gum, actually. So maybe more than half. I hate it. Well, she starts panicking because she knew that she absolutely did not want the guy to see her looking like a hillbilly. Fair, fair. With half of her front tooth. And so she's like, what in the heck am I going to do? I'm not going home until tomorrow night. So she started calling dentists in the area. Now, again, it's a Sunday. She's in a state, in a city that she's never been to before. Finally finds one that would take a random new patient For an emergency on a Sunday She doesn't have a car So she Ubers to this dentist's office Which is about 40 minutes from where this guy has his apartment They fix her tooth They basically give her a veneer Like a new tooth She Ubers back to this guy's apartment Lands her butt on the couch Just before he got home He had no idea

02:14:04 - 02:14:06 | Speaker 2:

How did she do it all in that period of time?

02:14:06 - 02:14:13 | Speaker 1:

But talk about a booty call gone wrong Right? and she goes to visit this guy in California and busts out her tooth.

02:14:13 - 02:14:18 | Speaker 2:

Was there reasoning for getting her tooth fixed because of vanity or reasoning because it hurt her so bad?

02:14:19 - 02:14:34 | Speaker 1:

Oh, it was vanity. I'm sure it hurt her, but she was like, I can't let him see me looking like this. Wow. And so I said, what in the heck were you going to do if you couldn't for a dentist? And she was like, I would go stay at a hotel. I was not going to let him see me like that.

02:14:34 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 2:

Why is it that when people lose a cap or a filling or a tooth, in this case, it never happens on a Tuesday during work hours. It always happens on a weekend. While you're at home by your own dentist. It happens when you're out of town. It always happens. And the amazing thing, some people can't find dentists in their own hometown. She is able to find a dentist.

02:15:00 - 02:15:14 | Speaker 4:

an out-of-town booty call oh yeah that's crazy and by the way your tooth looks great have any of our listeners ever had like a bad booty uh moment bad booty call moment where something bad happened to you on a booty call like what's the worst thing that ever happened

02:15:14 - 02:15:17 | Speaker 3:

to you when you were on a booty call whether in town or out of town she just happened to be

02:15:17 - 02:15:22 | Speaker 4:

02:15:22 - 02:15:50 | Speaker 5:

02:15:50 - 02:16:14 | Speaker 4:

an accident. Do you think he was just trying to also brag to you that he was? Of course he was 110% We hit the bend, we hit it so hard that's what ends up happening 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 is our telephone number 844-MOJO-LIVE I've never done an out of town booty call before like going out and meeting somebody out of town

02:16:14 - 02:16:18 | Speaker 3:

and then continuing I mean they've been talking since the end of June

02:16:18 - 02:16:21 | Speaker 4:

it's been a long time and wait did you say California

02:16:21 - 02:16:30 | Speaker 3:

yeah he lives in California and she lives here they first met because he was in town for a bachelor party of a buddy of his that was, you know, here.

02:16:30 - 02:16:31 | Speaker 4:

How do you think this thing's going to go?

02:16:32 - 02:16:32 | Speaker 3:

I don't know.

02:16:33 - 02:16:37 | Speaker 4:

Is she one of those people that has the ability to be able to pick up and go? Do you have kids or not?

02:16:38 - 02:16:43 | Speaker 3:

She, I don't think that this will be long-term. They're just having fun for her right now.

02:16:43 - 02:16:45 | Speaker 4:

How about, what will last longer? Her veneer?

02:16:46 - 02:16:50 | Speaker 3:

Her veneer. Or this relationship. Her veneer. It's a lovely veneer.

02:16:51 - 02:17:11 | Speaker 4:

That's amazing. That sounds like, honestly, my dentist is the type of dentist. I love Dr. DePilla. He's the type of dentist that would go in on a Sunday to do that for me if I had to do it, but I could not imagine calling up a strange dentist, like a person that's not your normal dentist, and having them go in. Good lord. What's happening? Mojo in the morning, do you have a bad booty call?

02:17:12 - 02:17:13 | Speaker 1:

I do.

02:17:14 - 02:17:15 | Speaker 4:

What happened?

02:17:16 - 02:17:20 | Speaker 1:

Getting hot and heavy and his shoulder came out of socket.

02:17:20 - 02:17:31 | Speaker 4:

Oh, Christ. You dislocated his shoulder? Give it up for him. I didn't catch your name. What is your name?

02:17:34 - 02:17:36 | Speaker 1:

Let's go with Marie. Smart girl.

02:17:36 - 02:17:42 | Speaker 4:

Marie, you are a beast in the bed. What did you guys do?

02:17:42 - 02:17:44 | Speaker 1:

Did you have to take them to the emergency room?

02:17:44 - 02:17:46 | Speaker 4:

You had to take them to get them put back?

02:17:46 - 02:17:49 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, we had to go to the emergency room and tell them what happened. And, well, you know.

02:17:50 - 02:17:52 | Speaker 4:

Did you, wait, you told them that it was a booty call?

02:17:52 - 02:18:00 | Speaker 1:

well i mean we didn't tell him it was booty call was that the last time you guys had sex because of

02:18:00 - 02:18:02 | Speaker 4:

you were worried that you had hurt his shoulder again

02:18:02 - 02:18:11 | Speaker 1:

uh no no we just we we played it a little bit more down the road you're gentle with him the

02:18:11 - 02:18:18 | Speaker 2:

rest of the way look who's on to sean hi buddy hey y'all happy holidays where where the hell

02:18:18 - 02:18:19 | Speaker 4:

have you been, Deshaun?

02:18:20 - 02:18:24 | Speaker 2:

I'm listening. I'm always listening. I've got a lot of work, man. I'm getting busy around this time.

02:18:25 - 02:18:30 | Speaker 4:

Deshaun, I know you're the type that has crazy booty calls. Back in the day, what was the craziest booty call you had?

02:18:30 - 02:18:43 | Speaker 2:

Well, you already know back in my heyday, man. I mean, I'm a real dude. I can't forget about it, but I ain't going to get too much in detail, but I'm doing my thing, you know, and I have a, you know, doggy style, and I think he took you left for the butt.

02:18:45 - 02:18:51 | Speaker 5:

I missed what he said, but it's probably something we don't want to hear anyway. He sneezed there?

02:18:51 - 02:18:57 | Speaker 4:

By the way, I love when he says, I'm not going to tell you too much, and then he

02:18:57 - 02:19:02 | Speaker 5:

tells us that. The most detailed, explicit part. Wow. By the way. What part did you leave out? That's what I...

02:19:02 - 02:19:13 | Speaker 4:

I think what ended up happening, that happens to me sometimes, to John, where I go to the bathroom, and sometimes remnants of the... Oh, no. Remnants of toilet paper still remain.

02:19:13 - 02:19:15 | Speaker 3:

I think people call that the Trisha Paytas.

02:19:15 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 4:

Is that what it is? um uh deshaun don't ever call here again you take care we love you too take take care of yourself buddy have a merry christmas merry christmas all right take care of yourself oh my god this is a wild one uh booty call and i clogged his toilet only to flood with duty running around oh man craziness that would happen to me And then this one here, the Keys one is a crazy one. The person who they ended up having a booty back in the day before my boyfriend and I were together. I can't read it so long because I think it's going to reset. Read.

02:20:00 - 02:20:01 | Speaker 3:

fast, Janet. Go ahead. I would commute

02:20:01 - 02:20:22 | Speaker 1:

from college to Macomb, and I would always lie to my parents about my arrival time, so I'd have enough time to get my little booty call. Problem is, my dad always carries my spare keys. Thank God for Triple A, because middle of winter, I locked myself out of my own car at my booty call's house, and I only had 45 minutes to get home before my parents would have suspected anything.

02:20:22 - 02:20:24 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Before you turn into a pumpkin.

02:20:25 - 02:20:27 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:20:27 - 02:20:31 | Speaker 3:

We will get you caught up on what's trending right now. Shannon, what do you got in the Dirty on the 30?

02:20:31 - 02:20:42 | Speaker 1:

Well, Jay Leno opening up for the very first time about that accident that left him with severe burns, second and third degree burns to his face and his arms. He sat down for an interview this morning with Hoda Kotb on the Today Show.

02:20:42 - 02:21:07 | Speaker 2:

Well, I was, it was a 1907 white steam car. The fuel line was clogged, so I was underneath it trying to clog. And I said, blow some air through the line. And suddenly, boom, I got a face full of gas. And then the pilot light jumped and my face caught on fire. And I said to my friend, I said, Dave, I'm on fire. And then, oh, my God, Dave, my friend, pulled me out and jumped on top of me and kind of smothered the fire.

02:21:07 - 02:21:11 | Speaker 1:

You know, man, he looks great, though. I mean, watching the interview this morning, he does look very, very good.

02:21:11 - 02:21:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's either good makeup or they did some good plastic surgery on him to get rid of some of the excess skin.

02:21:17 - 02:22:25 | Speaker 1:

Yesterday, Megan Thee Stallion in court for the second day of the Tory Lanez shooting trial. And both sides here are still trying to lay out what they say happened that night back in July of 2020, the night that Megan was shot in the foot. Prosecutors say Tori pulled the trigger. While Tori's attorneys have laid out some alternative theories to what happened, including pointing out that maybe there was some fighting between Megan and her former best friend Kelsey that night. But in the courtroom yesterday, Megan gave some very emotional testimony to the jury saying that as she started walking out of the vehicle that evening, she heard Tori say, quote unquote, dance bitch and claim she then saw him with the gun pointing at her before getting shot. She said at that point, everything got blurry because she started to go into shock. She said Tori then said to her, don't say anything and I'll give you a million dollars. and she said she remembers being so taken aback by the thought that like he was more concerned about going to jail than the fact that she was bleeding out of her out of her feet as for her friend Kelsey her former friend Megan testified that she never saw her with the gun so there goes

02:22:25 - 02:22:45 | Speaker 4:

that theory yesterday I was reading a lot of the transcripts from the court and it was sad to see like she said she was he was complaining about having to leave Kylie Jenner's party early they got in a fight over that then they got a fight over his driving then got fight over who they were talking to and it wasn't until she insulted his his recent recordings that he went crazy on

02:22:45 - 02:23:59 | Speaker 1:

her and that's when he fired yeah and and the sad part to me was that she said this has brought her so much emotional damage that she wishes that he would have just shot her dead instead of having to go through this i mean that's a big statement scarlett johansson did an interview yesterday and a podcast interview and in it she said she felt groomed into becoming a bombshell actress during the first part of her career. She talked about how when she did Lost in Translation and Girl with a Pearl Earring, she was like 18, 19 years old, and she was coming into her own womanhood and learning her own desirability and sexuality, and she said she started to realize that she was very much being typecasted to play the male's object of desire, or the other woman, in all of these movies that she was going to audition for. So she said she found herself pigeonholed and objectified. She wasn't getting offers for the stuff she wanted to do, only for stuff that hyper-sexualized her. She said she felt like her career was over at that point. It really came back to working at it and trying to carve a place for herself in different projects where her career kind of went off on a different path. And we talked about this earlier in the week. Britney Spears just ripping a new a-hole. Can I say that? New a-hole? Yep, okay. As I was saying it, I was

02:23:59 - 02:24:03 | Speaker 3:

like, can I say that? Did you almost say the a-hole? No, I didn't. I didn't say

02:24:03 - 02:24:18 | Speaker 1:

a-hole. But basically that The Jack in the Box worker was nice to her, right? Comforting to her when he thought he saw her crying in her car. She was picking up her cheeseburger and her milkshake. But man, she was not nice to him on Instagram. Well, he is now coming out to tell his side of the story.

02:24:19 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 5:

I was working my shift at Jack in the Box. I was working the drive-thru and this lady rolls up to my window. Okay, so she pays, whatever, blah, blah. She's super sweet. But I honestly did not recognize her. I did not know who she was. as i was handing her the bag she was like wiping away her tears so i was like oh i said something like oh everything's gonna be okay i was like oh it's gonna be okay girls something like that and after i said that she side-eyed me and she was like thank you and i felt using this guy's lying i was like oh my god why did i just say that now look at her and for some reason i don't care who you are and i've been here before if you're crying in a drive-thru don't tell me life

02:24:59 - 02:25:00 | Speaker 3:

Life is going to be fine.

02:25:00 - 02:25:05 | Speaker 4:

I'm clearly in a bad place I don't need your input We're making bad choices

02:25:05 - 02:25:10 | Speaker 2:

He sounds like a gentle being there No, come on

02:25:10 - 02:25:13 | Speaker 4:

I have no idea who this man is It's amazing

02:25:13 - 02:25:19 | Speaker 2:

You stick up for Brittany on everything But you won't stick up for me on half the stuff That you already know is the case

02:25:19 - 02:25:20 | Speaker 4:

But I know you

02:25:20 - 02:25:28 | Speaker 2:

I think this guy sounds very genuine And I don't think that there was anything wrong I think Brittany went off on him And she should apologize

02:25:28 - 02:25:34 | Speaker 3:

People are way too harsh on Britney and lenient on other people, and it's not fair.

02:25:34 - 02:25:35 | Speaker 2:

He sounds like he likes Britney.

02:25:36 - 02:25:39 | Speaker 1:

Wouldn't there be a recording in the drive-thru that we could see video?

02:25:40 - 02:25:41 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I don't believe this guy.

02:25:41 - 02:25:43 | Speaker 2:

Do they record in all the drive-thru?

02:25:43 - 02:25:52 | Speaker 4:

I'm sure they do. You know Britney Spears crying and was like, I'm going to connect with her. And she was like, leave me alone. And now he's like, oh, she was mean to me.

02:25:53 - 02:25:57 | Speaker 2:

Well, she didn't have to be mean about that. It's a tough call, though.

02:25:57 - 02:26:02 | Speaker 1:

So do you ignore that or do you see if someone's okay, like that they're not in some traumatic situation?

02:26:02 - 02:26:08 | Speaker 4:

If I have made the choice to pick up my food while crying, we both know that there are issues going on and I don't need your input.

02:26:09 - 02:26:14 | Speaker 2:

But if he ignores it and there's something serious going on, then everybody's going to go, oh, you ignored her. You just ignored her.

02:26:15 - 02:26:19 | Speaker 4:

Respectfully, the person at the drive-thru is not going to fix my life issues. It's not going to happen.

02:26:19 - 02:26:20 | Speaker 2:

What if he has extra nuggets?

02:26:22 - 02:26:29 | Speaker 4:

02:28:43 - 02:28:45 | Speaker 3:

Three great stations, one stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning Live.

02:30:43 - 02:31:14 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning Show. So I bring every day into the station a few waters, bottled waters, which I drink over the course of a show. And then I bring a protein drink This premier protein Which I'll drink one of those During the show And finally I bring a little thing Of cottage cheese in with me I like to have Some snacks here so that I don't find myself Eating any of the free food that comes our way

02:31:14 - 02:31:16 | Speaker 3:

There are a few joys in your life

02:31:16 - 02:31:37 | Speaker 2:

Well I don't know if these are joys I think these are necessities The joys would be eating the free food But this is what I have to do when I'm trying to lose weight with Ideal U. Well, a couple of weeks ago, I started noticing this. And you're not out of the woods, Spike. I know you've been sick the last couple of days. Because last week it happened.

02:31:37 - 02:31:38 | Speaker 3:

Oh, but somehow I'm still guilty.

02:31:39 - 02:32:08 | Speaker 2:

Somebody here is. I will bring in a fresh cottage cheese every single day. And sometimes my cottage cheese or a premier protein, or worse, my bottle of water will be gone. Like, I know specifically that I brought three waters, because I always bring three waters. Here's the waters I bring in. I bring three of these big waters. And you drink them. And I drink them. He chugs them. This is Reese. I feel like. Very hydrant. All right.

02:32:09 - 02:32:12 | Speaker 1:

Reese. Why would you steal?

02:32:12 - 02:32:16 | Speaker 2:

No, no. The cottage cheese is not me. Mike and Megan. Oh, but he just

02:32:16 - 02:32:20 | Speaker 3:

admitted to everything else. The water bottle's for sure. Yeah, no, maybe the water bottle.

02:32:20 - 02:32:20 | Speaker 2:

Are you taking my water?

02:32:21 - 02:32:25 | Speaker 3:

Maybe here and there. Well, it would be obvious, right? Nobody else drinks that brand of water. Right.

02:32:25 - 02:32:26 | Speaker 2:

Like I do.

02:32:26 - 02:32:27 | Speaker 1:

Well, sometimes I do, but.

02:32:27 - 02:32:29 | Speaker 2:

That's the problem.

02:32:29 - 02:32:30 | Speaker 1:

You guys are all killing the earth.

02:32:30 - 02:32:34 | Speaker 2:

Shannon puts them in a Yeti, so I know that she's dumping them in her Yeti so that she can steal my stuff.

02:32:35 - 02:32:40 | Speaker 1:

I did not steal your stuff. I use tap water from this radio station.

02:32:40 - 02:32:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I wouldn't drink this tap water in this place. Well, it's from that machine down there. Okay, so let me just go on record to say this, that I don't care who does it, just replace it if you can, especially if it's like my waters, you know, I talk for a long period of time. I get parched.

02:32:59 - 02:33:03 | Speaker 3:

That's cute that you think they're so lazy they're drinking your drinks, but they're going to replace them. You're right.

02:33:04 - 02:33:05 | Speaker 2:

You're right. Listen to this.

02:33:05 - 02:33:29 | Speaker 3:

By the way, it's not just, I don't think it's a morning show person, to be honest with you. I'm trying to remember who it was that I caught going in our office fridge a few weeks ago. When I walked in I don't want to say who it was I'm not sure They were like Oh is this your Like they got busted And they were acting all like Oh is this your I thought this was just a free I'm like Stealing cottage cheese Somebody stole my green beans I have a top one

02:33:31 - 02:33:32 | Speaker 3:

They probably threw away

02:33:32 - 02:33:32 | Speaker 1:

The green beans

02:33:32 - 02:34:26 | Speaker 2:

They put it together For a full meal They got a full one Do you guys know that You know Michael Who's the program director Of JLB Yes And you know He's like an awesome guy Do you know that I have him now watching our door of our office to see who goes in and who goes out? And the other day I heard him scream out, who's in there? To somebody. And it was like Lydia in there packing up bags for breaking and entering Christmas wish. One in five workers, about 18% to be exact, in an American Express survey, admit that they have eaten someone else's lunch out of the office refrigerator. One in five people have been brazen enough to eat somebody else's lunch out of a refrigerator. Reese, how many we have in here? Count. One, two, three, four, five, six. I usually door dash all food, so you know that the food's not me.

02:34:26 - 02:34:28 | Speaker 3:

But the water bottles, I will take credit for.

02:34:28 - 02:34:41 | Speaker 2:

I do know that the water has to be Reese because there have been times I walk into our editing bay and I'll go in there and I'm like, I wasn't in here. And that's my water bottle. I'm going to start marking my name on the top.

02:34:42 - 02:34:44 | Speaker 1:

Like I did in college. Yeah. I would write my name on it.

02:34:44 - 02:34:45 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to make sure that people don't do anything.

02:34:45 - 02:34:47 | Speaker 1:

Why don't you just use the water machine down there?

02:34:48 - 02:34:49 | Speaker 2:

I'm telling you. I wouldn't touch the...

02:34:49 - 02:34:54 | Speaker 1:

Not you. I know you wouldn't do that. No. You are so particular about your water.

02:34:54 - 02:34:56 | Speaker 2:

I usually bring a giant water bottle too.

02:34:56 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 3:

So I feel like I rarely take your water bottle.

02:34:59 - 02:35:00 | Speaker 1:

I don't think...

02:35:00 - 02:35:00 | Speaker 3:

It's always me.

02:35:00 - 02:35:15 | Speaker 2:

I'll be honest with you. I wouldn't drink the water. This HVAC machine in this building and this building. This building is honestly nastier than any kind of bacterial infection you could ever get in your life. Plumbing's plumbing.

02:35:15 - 02:35:19 | Speaker 3:

Water will kill you. Water will definitely kill you. Plumbing's plumbing.

02:35:19 - 02:35:45 | Speaker 2:

Tell that to the people in Flint, Michigan. Plumbing ain't plumbing there. But this is craziness that every time I go into that refrigerator, there's things gone out of it. And I'm telling you, I'm thinking about bringing in, like, does Yeti make a little mini refrigerator that I can bring in? Or do they, is there any, like, I can carry it with me, like a briefcase or something like that? They have little coolers, I'm sure, and they last a really long time. Like, they keep things cool a really long time. Can you imagine that? I have to bring my own cooler and keep it right next to me.

02:35:45 - 02:35:51 | Speaker 3:

No, use the office fridge over by the conference room. I don't think that's been open since 2017.

02:35:51 - 02:35:52 | Speaker 2:

Does it even work still?

02:35:52 - 02:35:53 | Speaker 3:

There's nothing in there.

02:35:53 - 02:35:55 | Speaker 1:

Why don't you put a lock on the fridge?

02:35:56 - 02:35:58 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. That would be funny.

02:35:58 - 02:35:59 | Speaker 3:

Swipe your key card to get in.

02:36:00 - 02:36:00 | Speaker 1:

I would die.

02:36:00 - 02:36:14 | Speaker 2:

Everybody should have to use. That's what we need security-wise. You know what I'm going to do? No. I'm putting a portable ring cam in that room. Every time that somebody goes in there, I'm going to get alerted that somebody walked in front of the refrigerator. I'm going to watch you.

02:36:14 - 02:36:15 | Speaker 3:

It's such a good idea.

02:36:15 - 02:36:16 | Speaker 2:

To see who is doing it.

02:36:16 - 02:36:18 | Speaker 3:

That is such a good idea. You're taking a lot of naps.

02:36:18 - 02:36:27 | Speaker 2:

I think, you know what I think it's going to be? I think Spike's right. I think it's going to be that sales guy, Jay. That sales guy, Jay. I'm telling you, I bet he goes in there and steals stuff out of there. Oh, it's the morning show?

02:36:28 - 02:36:33 | Speaker 3:

Free joke? That was him. That sounds like him, doesn't it? I don't remember exactly who it was, but yeah. It's got to be him.

02:36:34 - 02:36:37 | Speaker 2:

That shady bastard, I'm telling you.

02:36:37 - 02:36:42 | Speaker 3:

Why did you think at one point the office just filled the fridge with food and then you just helped yourself?

02:36:42 - 02:36:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Oh, my God. This company is the greatest company to work for. They give us free food.

02:36:47 - 02:36:55 | Speaker 3:

Honestly, I just came back from a few sick days, and I can't believe. I was like, well, I'm going to have to buy new yogurt. I thought anything that was prepackaged would be gone, but I can't believe my egg bites are still in there.

02:36:55 - 02:37:05 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. But where are my green beans? Okay, explain this to me. How could people go into an office refrigerator and steal somebody's leftover from the night before?

02:37:05 - 02:37:10 | Speaker 3:

That weirds me out. So weird. Never eat food. Unless it's pizza.

02:37:10 - 02:37:12 | Speaker 2:

Like, unless it's leftover pizza.

02:37:12 - 02:37:17 | Speaker 3:

Not even that, because I don't know how long it was sitting out and manhandled it to wrap it up.

02:37:17 - 02:37:36 | Speaker 2:

I'm always amazed whenever I hear stories about how we'll leave free food from the day before on a table, and it will just be sitting on a table and people will come by and grab the free food. Like it's a day out of a refrigerator and it's just sitting out there. Like where was it? It might have been Buddy's Pizza.

02:37:36 - 02:37:43 | Speaker 1:

It was. There was a salad that was on that table. An anaposto salad with ham on it and stuff. I won't say who the salesperson is,

02:37:43 - 02:37:47 | Speaker 2:

but I saw one of the salespeople eating off of a plate the salad.

02:37:48 - 02:37:50 | Speaker 3:

Salad starts to grow its own salad on top. Gross.

02:37:50 - 02:38:12 | Speaker 2:

Thank God. That's so gross. Do we not feed these people? Unbelievable. All right. I'm going to get one of those ring cameras. I'm going to today, and I'm going to buy one at Best Buy or wherever at all I can go get it. And I'm going to put up a portable ring camera. And by the way, if I see anybody turn that camera, because I've seen people do that before.

02:38:13 - 02:38:19 | Speaker 1:

That's what my mom does when she's babysitting my kids, but she wants to take a nap on the couch because she knows I'll bust her. She turns the camera around.

02:38:20 - 02:38:24 | Speaker 3:

I'm happy for my homo desk because some street team people have been eating out of my snack cart. What?

02:38:25 - 02:38:29 | Speaker 2:

Lydia, maybe it's the same people that are stealing my cottage cheese.

02:38:30 - 02:38:34 | Speaker 3:

The tea is that when one of them quit, the stealing of my snacks stopped.

02:38:34 - 02:38:36 | Speaker 2:

Stop it. Are you serious?

02:38:36 - 02:38:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm so serious.

02:38:38 - 02:38:43 | Speaker 2:

So the theft stopped once that person left.

02:38:43 - 02:38:45 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and he admitted it when he quit, too.

02:38:46 - 02:38:52 | Speaker 2:

Okay, well, at least he admitted it. I'm fine with that. Somebody said I should start putting laxatives in my food.

02:38:53 - 02:38:53 | Speaker 3:

That's a great idea.

02:38:53 - 02:38:59 | Speaker 2:

Could you imagine that? It'd be like somebody, Reese, running out of the office.

02:38:59 - 02:39:01 | Speaker 3:

That's one quick way to find out who ate it.

02:39:02 - 02:39:03 | Speaker 2:

Reese, you better be careful, pal.

02:39:04 - 02:39:05 | Speaker 3:

I am always careful. What do you mean?

02:39:05 - 02:39:10 | Speaker 2:

You better, because seriously, you keep taking this stuff. You're going to end up one day sitting down in the toilet.

02:39:10 - 02:39:16 | Speaker 3:

Are you just getting the munchies during the day? No, I have honestly no idea who has taken half of this stuff. I'm not going to lie.

02:39:17 - 02:39:34 | Speaker 2:

Half of it. What's up, Tom? Just put one of those nice hot ghost pepper habanero Oh, yeah And now you'll know who it is Light it up I'm going to do that I'm going to put that in there And then I'm going to see them running out of the studio Right?

02:39:36 - 02:39:36 | Speaker 3:

Exactly

02:39:36 - 02:40:00 | Speaker 2:

Tom, you got my thinking going here Thank you, buddy I appreciate your call, pal All right Appreciate it What did this co-worker have? This co-worker had somebody stealing all their food? 844-MOJO-LIVE 844-665-6548 Oh, they got scared. There I were. The problem with doing a topic about...

02:40:00 - 02:40:03 | Speaker 4:

stuff, work stuff, is that people are at work right now and nobody wants to call out their

02:40:03 - 02:40:11 | Speaker 2:

co-workers. Speaking of which, the office food is out. They've all been sitting out there eating for a half hour. I don't know if you guys are going to get any breakfast, but the Christmas party

02:40:11 - 02:40:19 | Speaker 4:

started a while ago. Did you guys hear our breaking and entering Christmas wish from earlier this morning? It was wonderful. Dear Santa, I was good this year.

02:40:20 - 02:40:27 | Speaker 3:

Well, most of the year. Well, once in a while. Hell, never mind. I'll buy my own presents.

02:40:28 - 02:40:30 | Speaker 6:

Merry Christmas. The Mojo in the Morning.

02:40:35 - 02:41:15 | Speaker 4:

Big thank you to our Breaking Ed and Christmas Wish angels from Imagine Theater. Our good friend Paul and Anthony, Nick. Love those guys so much. Also, Frank Toma, Jay Jennings over at Clean View Auto Wash. Love you guys so much. And then Cookie, Brian Cook over at Red Robin, we love you so much. So they really made Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish possible, being able to grant wishes, not just in the Detroit area, but also Grand Rapids and Toledo, too, our entire listening area.

02:41:15 - 02:41:22 | Speaker 2:

It's only because those sponsors you just named donated tens of thousands of dollars each. Amazing. I know. And more keeps coming in.

02:41:22 - 02:41:56 | Speaker 4:

I mean, that's the craziest. They keep saying to us, they're like, hey we got more hey all we got more it's like unbelievable um this morning we're granting a christmas wish in toledo we go to mike right now mike you are with grandma yes and grandpa and grandpa hi renee renee we've met but i haven't met grandpa what's grandpa's name terry how you doing buddy i'm good i'm good excited i know i know by the way by the way renee you you got Kleenex in your pockets? 02:41:57 - 02:42:00 | Speaker 7:

Or up your sleeves. Grandmas usually have it up their sleeves.

02:42:00 - 02:42:07 | Speaker 5:

Do you know what else she brought? She brought up treats. She baked us cookies and Buckeyes and all sorts of stuff.

02:42:07 - 02:42:08 | Speaker 7:

Oh, I hope you're bringing those back to the studio.

02:42:09 - 02:42:16 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. You're the best. We love you so much and you know what? We love your daughter and we're going to love on your daughter this morning. Okay, guys?

02:42:17 - 02:42:18 | Speaker 1:

We appreciate it so much.

02:42:18 - 02:42:23 | Speaker 4:

Alright. Hang on. Let's send Grandma up to the door. Okay. Mike, with your phone?

02:42:24 - 02:42:24 | Speaker 1:

Yep, yep.

02:42:24 - 02:42:29 | Speaker 4:

We're here. Okay. Knock on the door?

02:42:29 - 02:42:33 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, knock on the door, or it looks like you've got a doorbell. Maybe hit the door.

02:42:45 - 02:42:46 | Speaker 6:

Something just turned on?

02:42:46 - 02:42:47 | Unknown:

All right. Here we go.

02:42:50 - 02:42:50 | Speaker 5:

Up there?

02:42:50 - 02:42:54 | Speaker 6:

Up there. That's her room. All right. Her light is turned on. All right.

02:42:54 - 02:42:55 | Unknown:

Okay.

02:42:55 - 02:43:14 | Speaker 6:

Here we come. Here we come. Here we come. Perfect. All right. Coming to the door. Hello. How are you? Merry Christmas. I got some people here with me that would like to talk to you. You might know them.

02:43:15 - 02:43:15 | Speaker 5:

Hello.

02:43:16 - 02:43:24 | Speaker 6:

Did you see your mom? Why don't you, is it all right if we come in? Yeah. All right. We've got a few things here for you.

02:43:24 - 02:43:25 | Speaker 4:

Melissa, put her on the phone.

02:43:26 - 02:43:27 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, you're all right.

02:43:28 - 02:43:31 | Speaker 4:

Melissa? Hey, Melissa?

02:43:32 - 02:43:33 | Speaker 5:

Yeah?

02:43:33 - 02:43:35 | Speaker 4:

Hi, it's Mojo in the morning.

02:43:36 - 02:43:37 | Speaker 1:

Hello.

02:43:37 - 02:43:39 | Speaker 4:

Hi, we woke you up this morning, huh?

02:43:40 - 02:43:40 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:43:41 - 02:43:57 | Speaker 4:

Hey, we have something special for you today. we received a beautiful letter about you and your two babies for our Breaking and Entering Christmas wish. And your beautiful mom is going to read you that letter, okay?

02:43:58 - 02:44:58 | Speaker 1:

All right. Dear Mojo in the morning, my name is Renee Wysocki, and I'm writing to you to nominate my daughter, Melissa, for your Breaking and Entering Christmas wish. Melissa is an amazing single mom. with two young children unfortunately my incredible daughter suffers from ms she does her best to work and take care of her kids and get through each and every day but recently she had a relapse and ended up in the hospital and this relapse was so bad that her neurologist has advised her to rest at home and not go back to work till February. That news was devastating to her, as she desperately needs this job to keep food on the table and a roof over her family's heads right now. And to make matters even worse, the company she works for let her go.

02:45:00 - 02:45:21 | Speaker 4:

She currently has a furnace that isn't working either, and she's behind on her mortgage. Christmas for my grandchildren is just not going to happen, and I know you can make it happen, Mojo. Please make this little family's Christmas a magical one. Thank you and sincerely, Renee.

02:45:23 - 02:45:41 | Speaker 2:

Wow. So your loving mother and, of course, your loving father wanted to make sure that you and their grandbabies are taken care of this Christmas. And that's why we're granting a Christmas wish for you this morning, Melissa.

02:45:41 - 02:45:42 | Speaker 4:

Thank you.

02:45:43 - 02:45:45 | Speaker 2:

We're bringing Christmas to your house.

02:45:46 - 02:45:47 | Speaker 4:

That's lovely.

02:45:47 - 02:45:51 | Speaker 2:

And we... First off, how are you feeling? How are you doing?

02:45:52 - 02:45:56 | Speaker 3:

I have my days. I have my days. Still, still very weak.

02:45:57 - 02:46:01 | Speaker 2:

I know it's got to be tough, but you stay strong for those children, don't you?

02:46:01 - 02:46:02 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah.

02:46:03 - 02:46:30 | Speaker 2:

I can't believe that being out on disability like this, that a work would do that to you, too. That's just awful during the holidays. Well, we're coming together as a community. We know how strong everybody in Toledo are about protecting their own. and that's why we're going to protect you and we're going to make sure that we bring Christmas in. And Mike, you got all kinds of good gifts that we can carry into that house?

02:46:31 - 02:46:37 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, we've just lined the living room floor with Christmas gifts for you. Why don't you come take a look? Right over here.

02:46:45 - 02:46:50 | Speaker 2:

There's so much there. Mike, tell everybody what we got today.

02:46:50 - 02:46:56 | Speaker 6:

Why don't we let the queen of all this tell you. Lydia, what do we have here for the little ones?

02:46:56 - 02:47:16 | Speaker 3:

We have a lot of goodies. So I know AJ's been saving up for a digital clock. So we got him his very own digital clock. We got here a Nintendo Switch. We have Minecraft blankets. We have some Minecraft games for the Switch.

02:47:18 - 02:47:28 | Speaker 2:

And that's all just for Austin. And there's so much more in there, too, for Austin. Austin's eight years old. Austin, your baby, do you cuddle with your baby all the time on the couch?

02:47:29 - 02:47:30 | Speaker 1:

Yes, of course.

02:47:30 - 02:47:31 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:47:31 - 02:47:38 | Speaker 5:

That's so cute that he was saving up for his own alarm clocks. He liked the idea of setting his own clock and being responsible.

02:47:39 - 02:47:53 | Speaker 6:

They told me a story when we first got here that his school is around the corner from the house, and he's so excited to get to school but didn't have a clock. So he thought he was late one day And he left an hour, what was it, an hour early? It was like an hour early

02:47:53 - 02:47:54 | Speaker 4:

And it was raining out

02:47:54 - 02:47:58 | Speaker 6:

They couldn't find him and he was at the school But this is going to help so much

02:47:58 - 02:48:03 | Speaker 2:

We didn't forget about Tiara Lydia, what do we got for Tiara?

02:48:04 - 02:48:26 | Speaker 3:

Tiara, we have some goodies for you We have an iPad She loves art So we got her her very own art set An easel, some paint We got her some candles I heard she loves a nightmare before Christmas, so I definitely bought her a sock calendar set. We got her that, and we got her some book sets for Harry Potter. So fun.

02:48:26 - 02:48:27 | Speaker 2:

That's amazing.

02:48:27 - 02:48:28 | Speaker 3:

She'll never be bored.

02:48:28 - 02:48:39 | Speaker 2:

Wow. And Melissa, we didn't forget about you because we know with Battle and MS, it's got to be a struggle just to try to stay comforted. So we wanted to make sure that we took care of you with some comforting items.

02:48:40 - 02:49:07 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, we have all the household goods you so desperately need, but also we're going to give you a lot of personal care items to spoil you and i'm not gonna get into the whole list there's a lot of things personal usage things and candles and comfort things and then slippers but xfinity is going to give you a laptop so you can also work from home while you're on bed rest and also keep track of those kitties in school and do all the things you need to do and we we know that

02:49:07 - 02:49:22 | Speaker 7:

you're behind on some bills and we can't let that be the case this christmas so we are going to write you a check for $2,500. And hopefully that's going to help with some of those bills. And we'll get

02:49:22 - 02:49:34 | Speaker 2:

you all caught up with your mortgage. And Megan, that's coming from our good friends. I want you to introduce you to some great folks that are unbelievable advertisers of our station, 92.5

02:49:34 - 02:49:43 | Speaker 1:

Kiss FM. Yeah. Jay Foster Jewelers. Phil, Stan, and Anthony are out there to help you out from Jay Foster's at the Shops of Fallen Timbers in Maumee. So thank you to those guys. Wait a second.

02:49:43 - 02:49:44 | Speaker 2:

All three are there?

02:49:44 - 02:49:45 | Speaker 1:

I believe.

02:49:45 - 02:49:47 | Speaker 2:

What's up, guys? How are you?

02:49:47 - 02:49:47 | Speaker 1:

Good morning.

02:49:48 - 02:49:51 | Speaker 6:

We're so happy to be a part of it. Merry Christmas, everyone. Merry Christmas.

02:49:52 - 02:49:54 | Speaker 2:

Merry Christmas. Melissa?

02:49:55 - 02:49:55 | Speaker 6:

Melissa.

02:49:56 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 2:

We didn't forget about you, Melissa. We want to make sure.

02:50:00 - 02:50:11 | Speaker 4:

that you have a great Christmas, and we want you to know that next year is going to be your year, okay? Thank you. Thank you. We love you so much. Love you, too. Grandma,

02:50:11 - 02:50:28 | Speaker 1:

we have two truckloads to unload there from the smallest gifts, hundreds of dollars in Kroger gift cards so you can go down the street to get your groceries, make sure that's taken care of, to the biggest TV and the boxes that we didn't even have bags and gift wrap to cover.

02:50:28 - 02:50:42 | Speaker 4:

And, Grandma, we also just got a text in from a company that says that they're a heating and cooling company, and they want to make sure that your babies are warm. They're going to get in contact with us, so we'll call them and get in contact to get that heat going, okay?

02:50:42 - 02:50:45 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you guys are awesome. You guys are fantastic.

02:50:45 - 02:51:02 | Speaker 4:

We love you. All right. Well, listen, it's early in the morning. I know that. And usually we, you know, don't celebrate Christmas, you know, a full month, you know, ahead of time like we do with these breaking out of Christmas wishes. But we want you to have the spirit of the season in that beautiful house of yours. Okay.

02:51:04 - 02:51:05 | Speaker 3:

Thank you. Thank you.

02:51:06 - 02:51:15 | Speaker 4:

Merry, Merry Christmas. Mike, Mike, you and you and those those wild men from Jay Foster Jewelers. Let's get everybody together. Let's have a party. Come on.

02:51:16 - 02:51:22 | Speaker 3:

All right. All right. Let's get back in the living room. All right, I know we might have some people sleeping still, right?

02:51:22 - 02:51:22 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning's Top Trending Stories.

02:53:40 - 02:54:59 | Speaker 4:

All right, Top Trending Stories is a big story that is breaking right now that we just got word on. Ellen's DJ, Steven Twitch Boss, dead at 40 years old by suicide. The former DJ for The Allen Show, law enforcement sources told TMZ that police discovered Twitch's body in a Los Angeles hotel room after his wife, Allison Holker, frantically called saying that he had left the house, the home, without his car, and that was very unlike him. And it appears that he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. reps for twitch have not returned any of the calls that tmz nor page six or any of the other media outlets have put out there he began djing on the ellen show back in 2014 he stayed with the talk show until its end in 2022 ellen degenerate made him the executive producer of the show back in 2020 when she had all kinds of issues with the producers that she had i did not know this but His career began back in 2008 when he was placed as a runner-up on So You Think You Can Dance. That's how he met his wife.

02:55:00 - 02:55:11 | Speaker 1:

This is actually a tribute that Ellen did for him on the show surprising him on the show with a tribute talking about how he was Ellen's favorite part of the show.

02:55:16 - 02:55:47 | Speaker 2:

Whenever he's not here for whatever reason, it's just different. I mean, I count on him to look over at and make silly jokes and he's my pal. You know, he's my sidekick because, you know, we have this we have this connection. So just looking over and he makes me laugh. He really, really makes me laugh. I love you, Twitch. And you know how much we we tell each other that every day when we say goodbye after the show, we both say love you.

02:55:48 - 02:55:49 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Very sad.

02:55:50 - 02:56:00 | Speaker 3:

His wife did make a statement, by the way, and it's just awful. Well, they just celebrated their anniversary on Saturday, but she said, Stephen, we love you. We miss you. And I will always save the last dance for you.

02:56:00 - 02:56:37 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Twitch is survived by his wife and three children, Wesley, 14, Maddox, 6, and Zaya, who is 3. If you or someone you know is affected at all by some depression right now and faced with hard times and need someone to talk to, obviously call us or call the Suicide Prevention Hotline. The experts are there for you at 1-800-273-TALK. That's 1-800-273-8255 or simply text Crisis Text Line at 741741.

02:56:37 - 02:56:50 | Speaker 4:

Or 988 now. They finally got that enacted. You can just text 988, and they'll put you in touch immediately with someone. These holidays, don't ignore even subtle signs of change with friends and family. You never know what people are struggling with.

02:56:50 - 02:57:24 | Speaker 1:

It's awful. Another death. Now we know exactly what this came from. Did you guys hear the story over the weekend about the journalist at the World Cup Games that died? Grant Wall is a journalist at the World Cup Games. The story was a major story because he was one of the journalists. He actually worked for Fox and worked for a number of different writing outlets. He came out in honor of his gay brother, and he was wearing the rainbow flag and was told in the press room that he had to take it off. The people in Qatar were saying bad things about him.

02:57:24 - 02:57:25 | Speaker 4:

They detained him for a while.

02:57:25 - 02:57:48 | Speaker 1:

He died, and a lot of people were thinking, there is no way that this guy died of what they thought was a virus that he ended up getting. It's now revealed from the autopsy Of what he died from And I thought there was going to be a story That we're going to come out with That was like wrongdoing or whatever that took place It turns out that he had an aortic aneurysm

02:57:48 - 02:57:50 | Speaker 3:

Oh my gosh

02:57:50 - 02:59:01 | Speaker 1:

Which is what I ended up having to go have surgery on And thank God It's a silent killer that a lot of people don't know about I mean if you looked at pictures Of Grant Wall He was actually in great shape That's the thing People who are working out all the time, you know, thinking that they're completely healthy, don't have any clue that they have an aortic aneurysm. It's hereditary and it's something that can be monitored. And obviously you can have surgery like I do or I did and, you know, live your life in a good way afterwards. And I really just encourage men and women to ask your doctor if you can go and get a check to see if, you know, you're okay. A couple of Christmas stories and then we're going to get out of here. In the form of Christmas spirit, are you more of a Santa, a Scrooge, or a Grinch? If I asked you guys that question, in a poll that was just recently done, most people identify that they're a giver like Santa Claus. While some people say that they think that their friends are more Scrooges or Grinches.

02:59:02 - 02:59:04 | Speaker 3:

What's the difference between a Scrooge and a Grinch?

02:59:04 - 02:59:34 | Speaker 1:

So a Scrooge would be somebody that would, let's see here. Penny pinching person is a Scrooge. A grumpy person is a Grinch. So are you a Santa, which is a giver, a Scrooge, which is a penny pincher, or a grump, which is a Grinch? I'm going to say that I am a Grinch. I'm the grump. What do you guys say that you are? Are you more of a Santa, Shannon?

02:59:34 - 02:59:41 | Speaker 3:

I would like to hope I'm more of Santa. I mean, I have my days where I'm definitely a freaking Grinch. Spike, what are you?

02:59:41 - 02:59:45 | Speaker 4:

What would you say you are? I'm a blockhead who gets a rock

02:59:45 - 02:59:47 | Speaker 1:

Megan, what about you? What would you say you are?

02:59:47 - 02:59:51 | Speaker 3:

Cindy Lou Who, because I don't really care about others I'm just out here looking out for myself

02:59:51 - 02:59:58 | Speaker 1:

Yes, okay How many gifts on your kids list does Santa usually bring?

03:00:00 - 03:00:17 | Speaker 8:

development experts say that you should try to keep the number of toys that you give to your kids to under eight gifts. That your kids should not be getting more than eight gifts. How many gifts do the kids open up? I told Chelsea keep them to one gift. We're at a

03:00:17 - 03:00:25 | Speaker 3:

point now. Your kids probably ask for things that have a bigger price tag than the little Barbie outfits or whatever.

03:00:26 - 03:00:50 | Speaker 8:

The amazing thing is that Luke's our baby that he's the only one i'm concerned with right now you just see the list that joe gives joe's 27 years old and he's given chelsea like a list of stuff and i'm like you got to be kidding me some of the items where he's like i want a new headphones new headphones i'm not giving you things for your work for your occupation no why not i look back at like the

03:00:50 - 03:01:18 | Speaker 6:

beyond toddler years maybe like the year that mike's kids are now when they're that magical age of really like so excited about christmas i realize how much overboard we went because it was for us we were so excited to see them walk downstairs and see a mound of gifts and you realize later like a four-year-old only plays with the first gift they unopened and they don't care how many and you it's like you couldn't tell me as a parent that that was the case but now i look back at the videos and the memories i go what are we doing oh my god what do you do for the girls

03:01:18 - 03:01:22 | Speaker 8:

now that they're you know they're older that you got you know one almost graduating college one

03:01:22 - 03:01:43 | Speaker 6:

that just started college it's a struggle to get a list from them i keep asking for ideas but You're right. The prices get higher on all the things they want and need, so there's not as many gifts, but it's also need is where it starts to come in, things they need as opposed to things they just want, because now they're trying to pay for their own things and gas and everything else.

03:01:43 - 03:01:58 | Speaker 8:

But you also, didn't you, on the air not that long ago, talk about how I think one of them was like a beauty care item, right? And you were like, put it on your list. Oh, yeah. Toothbrush. Eyebrow pencil. Yeah, toothbrush. Wait a second. Go back to the whole Scrooge, Grinch, and Santa thing. Wait a second.

03:01:58 - 03:02:03 | Speaker 6:

Eyebrow pencil's not a necessity. You can wait for Christmas. Oh, but it is. It actually is.

03:02:03 - 03:02:16 | Speaker 8:
